The show centered on promoting the upcoming 28‑hour Mikey‑thon to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital's Autism Discovery Institute, with Mikey sharing his personal connection to autism through his son Jake. Throughout the broadcast the hosts detailed auction items such as a signed POD guitar, Brixton clothing, a game‑used bat, and a Leif Brandt photo, while also announcing a $1 million fundraising goal. A major theme was the hostile reaction to rival station 91X’s plan to counter‑program the Mikey‑thon, prompting Mikey’s on‑air rant and calls for a boycott. Light‑hearted segments included a Skype test with CW6, Jay’s prank on phone screener Chris, and games like Grabwood’s Junk and the baseball‑in‑the‑pants guessing game.

Are we on the air? I believe we're on the air. If you can hear us, call us. 5701949. I believe we're on the air. We're testing stuff out because we have such a cool morning planned. We're going to be on the television. And so you can watch us on TV. And you'll be able to watch us on TV very soon. On the CW6. By the way, 23 hours. 55 minutes until Mikey-thon. 2011. Oh, boy. Oh, yeah. That couldn't be, right? Oh, that's right, my friend. Surely you jest. Yeah, surely you jest. I'm not jesting. Stop calling me Shirley. 23 hours, man. Wow. It's less than a day away. When we're in here tomorrow morning at this time, we will be embarking on a 28-hour marathon.
That's right. And the dogs will be barking, won't they? You know what I mean? Me either. And barking. Yes. Now, we're going to do something really cool. We're going to be on CW6. At what time, Jay? About 7.15ish. Okay. We'll tell you when. And our plan is that we will be on simultaneously. Okay. The way we're going to do it is Skype. So cool. Yeah, a lot of TV shows are doing this now. They'll join the head coach of the New York Jets, and they'll say, how you doing, Coach Ryan? We're talking to you through Skype right now. You're in your office. That kind of deal. And they want to interview us about Mikey-thon and raising money for Rady Children's Hospital. And so that's what we're going to do. We'll do it at... 715. Let's just make sure we're on and everybody can hear us. M1 Gabby from Poway. Are you there? I am. Good morning, guys. Good morning. And you can hear us okay? Yes, I can hear you. Excellent. Okay, cool. What's going on? Good to say good morning and happy belated birthday to my lovely boyfriend. Oh, nice. I say belated because yesterday was his birthday and we spent all day at Disneyland. But I just wanted to tell him I love him and I hope that he's having a great birthday week. That's nice. That's nice. Well,
Yeah, happy birthday to him, and thank you for calling in. All right, thank you. Thank you, Gabby. Emma and Rebecca from Kearney Mesa, what's up? Yes, great. Nice. And what's going to be? It's a great question. It's at the... Home of our studios, Studio M is located in the heart of Mission Valley. We're in the Booz Allen Hamilton building, and that is 1615 Murray Canyon Road in San Diego. It's right in the middle of Mission Valley. So if you think of the biggest intersection near us is Friars and Frisee. Right there where, what's that shopping center called? The Hazard Center. Oh, yeah. We're right near Hazard Center. Okay. And so you... Well, we are broadcasting inside. However, we will be coming outside quite a bit. I mean, we're setting up an entire staging area for Mikey Show M1s to come down and hang out. And so you can come down here, hang out. We're going to have a giant grill out there for people to be able to grill their own food. We're going to supply a couple of hot dogs. We're going to have people out there cooking. It's really going to be an awesome experience for everybody.
Yeah, spend the night. Because since we're on for 28 straight hours and we're going to watch movies from 10 to 2, we're going to watch Cobra and we're going to watch the movie Pretty in Pink. And so we encourage people to go out and get those movies, Cobra and Pretty in Pink, and we will put the movies in and we will make fun of the movies and it's a good time. How fun. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you very much. Thank you. All right, we'll see you. Now, I want to let people know. They are expecting a storm to come through today. It'll last until tomorrow. Here's what they're saying. They're saying that it's supposed to hit us this afternoon and it will follow for about 24 hours. Shower should diminish significantly toward midday tomorrow and then peter out completely. So by tomorrow late afternoon, we should have clear skies the whole bit. But if you come early, you know, from Ikeethon, just remember, hoodie, plan for it, be ready. You know, know that the forecast, 11 o'clock tonight is when the storm hits, right? Woods, you said? I heard it stops at 11 tonight, and then tomorrow is going to be scattered.
I just saw that on a local weather reporter's Facebook. Okay, so it's going to hit this afternoon. Maybe stop by 11 tonight. Yes. Okay, good. That'd be great. Yeah, and then a little bit of scatter showers tomorrow. It's going to be a little chilly, you know, so just always over-prepare. Be a Boy Scout tomorrow. Absolutely. A bunch of extra stuff. And Girl Scouts. Yes. M1 Christian from Carlsbad. What's up? Top of the morning, bro. Right on. Nice. You rule, bro. You rule, dude. Thank you. You guys are awesome. That's killer. Dude, I love to hear it, man. I love to hear it. And we're glad to have you listening, bro. You got it. M1 Veronica from San Diego. What's up? Good morning, guys. How are you? Good. How you doing? I am done baking for Mikey Thon. Nice. How long did that take? A week. Oh, my goodness. I started actually last Wednesday. Oh, my gosh.
I want to thank HB and Matt for coming over. They helped me bag stuff up. And just for the bagged items, we have 500 bagged items. Oh, wow. And I'm thinking if people donate at least $1, that's already $500 made. Heck, yeah. That is rad. Love that. Love that. I still have more brownies that will be there. We have Rice Krispie Treats. I just finished baking a batch of cinnamon rolls. It'll be freshly iced tomorrow morning. We have homemade pumpkin bread. We have breakfast items. So if you're in the area tomorrow morning, come by and grab breakfast. I will be. I will be. And lunch and dinner if the things are still there for dinner time. Dang, girl. That is incredible. We are good to go for baking and baked goods tomorrow. So bring money. That's right. I don't want to bring any of it back. 1615 Murray Canyon Road is where the Booz Allen Hamilton building is. Big, tall building made of glass. And right around the side, we have a sand volleyball court. People are going to be set up out there, camping out, hanging out, whole thing. It's going to be awesome. And, yeah.
Veronica is going to be out there selling. She bakes better than anybody I know. She bakes so good. Her stuff is delicious. And she's going to be selling it to you. And all the money that she gets for it is going to go to Rady Children's Hospital. And if you're at OSC, I was the one who made the cookies and the rice pastry treats. So if you had any of that, you know what's to come. That stuff was good. Come on. Excellent. Real good. All right. We'll see you guys tomorrow morning. Thanks, V. Bye. We'll see you. Are you guys nervous about tonight getting to bed? Any of that stuff? Yeah. Woods, you're not. Not at all. L.O.B., you're a little nervous. Yeah, I couldn't sleep last night. Oh, wow. Yeah, I didn't sleep a lick. Didn't sleep last night. Wide awake. How about you, Chris? You're fine. Chris is fine. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's L.O.B. That's Jay, our producer, and our phone screener's Chris. That's Krauss. That's Krauss. Blink tickets available again today. Word of the day, unity. So when you hear that between now and 10. You got to be listening for that word. Could even come during commercials. Call her nine. I'll give you Blink-182 tickets. I am okay. I'm okay. But I know that I will be thinking about it tonight. And mainly what it is, is everything ready, is everything prepared and all that stuff. Once we start at 6 a.m., the pressure's kind of off. What is to come will come. That's right. I feel way more prepared this year than I did last year. For sure. And we are.
I am dialed in, I feel like. This year, there are way more services. We've tried to take everybody's input and try to make it the best that we can. And in addition to that, definitely, like by a long shot, there are more things to bid on to raise money. Cool things that I'd like to bid on. And so there's just a lot set up for M1s. And to raise dough for the cause of autism, because my oldest son, Jake, who I love with all my heart, is autistic. And I know that there are parents that have autistic kids. And if you do, your wonder is always, who would my son or my daughter be without this? And my hope is one day they flat out find a cure for it. But what Rady Children's Hospital does and what their Autism Discovery Institute does is gnarly cool. They take these kids when they're toddlers and at risk for autism or autistic and they get them into early therapy. If you don't know anything about autism, the one thing you need to know is if you think something's up, get them evaluated. Because the earlier they start with these kids, the better their chances. Jake was on the air yesterday.
And he's five now. And he was first at risk before he even turned two. And from that moment on, Radies took over. And so did all the different forms of therapy. And you would probably not know now. And without that work from Radie, who knows what Jake would sound like today. But he has just grown so much because of their efforts. So I want to, you know. Listen, last year we raised $25,000. This year, my goal is to raise $1 million. All right? I want to raise so much money. I want it to make me ball crying at the end of this thing. I want to find out what the total is and just be blown away at what the total is. I don't beg you very often, but tomorrow and for the 28 hours that we start, I beg you to give money to this cause. It's the cause that means the most to me, and it's the cause that has my name written on it. Because God gave me an autistic son, and I'm going to do something with it. And that happens tomorrow, along with a heck of a lot of entertainment. Oh, man. 28 hours of flat-out entertainment planned for you, and it's going to be great. We sold out for this one, man. We really did. By the way,
Trey and Sonny and all the dudes from POD are just such good guys, man. Carvin's in San Diego. Carvin.com. And their factory showroom, which, by the way, is located in the Carmel Mountain area. It's on World Trade Drive. And let me tell you something. They had Sonny go pick up a guitar from there yesterday at Carvin's in San Diego. and I was getting text messages and emails through the process. And so I basically got a text at the moment it was picked up, and then where it went, and then all of what happened. So Sonny, the lead singer, and Trey, the bass player from POD, they go down to Carvin's, pick this acoustic guitar up from Carvin. They drive it back to Sonny's house. Sonny has all the dudes from POD come over to the house, and they've all signed it. The next step, and he was awesome, man. He texted me. He's like, hey, dude, we just all signed it in my living room. What's next? And I was like, I just got to get it, bro. I said, you know, whatever's easiest for you. I come to you. You come to the studio, whatever you want to do. He says, I'll bring it in. So he's coming by today. He's going to drop that thing off. Have you guys ever heard of a clothing line called Brixton?
Brixton? Sounds familiar for some reason. Yeah, it's like ultra hip clothing. Brixton? I hope I'm saying it right because I went to their website and I was like, whoa, that's... If it's ultra hip, you wouldn't expect me to know about it. Well, and I'm like, I can't pull that off. My wife can pull off the chick stuff. Yeah. For sure. Is it like Mumford and Sons looking stuff? Yes. Okay. Brixton. Yeah. Yeah, it's called Brixton. And when you go to this website... you'll go, oh, yeah, like I want to be that dude. Yeah, for sure. But anyway, I happen to know a girl named Kristen who is related. This is a big company, like to the point where they were like, they needed to know who else was donating stuff. It's a big company and a cool company, and they're very protective image-wise. When you see the stuff, they're very protective. So I had to give all that information to them. They looked it over, and they were like, cool, we'll give you some stuff. Wow. Yeah. And so they're giving us some stuff that's going to be auctioned off. Gosh, that's awesome. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's great. We have a ton of stuff. A game used vat. Tipsy crows. Yeah. I mean, holy cow, dude. Wow. Game used. Woods semi-professional baseball team. Yes, man. It's in the trunk of my car right now. You left it in the trunk? It's in the trunk, dude. What's the matter with you? All I got to do is sign it.
And it's done. Think of the dollars we will raise. I mean, it's unbelievable. I can't. If that thing gets stolen, I'll be so upset that you were so careless. If that thing makes $25, I'll be happy. What do we start the bidding at? $25. That's it. We'll start at $25. Yeah. There you go. Somebody buy it. Jay just gave me a look like $25. Come on, guys. Let's not get crazy. The bat alone is worth like $30. You know what I'm afraid of? What? Leif Brandt or Leif Brandt. I always say Leif. Leif Brandt. He's a photographer. Incredible. He did a photo shoot of me wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt with a Tommy Bahama background. And I blend in and I look miserable. And it's done on this. He printed it on this canvas so that it looks like a canvas that's wrapped around and it hangs on the wall just like it is. And it was expensive to make it. It was like $85. And I want to say it's like 16 by 20. It's not that big, but it's not as big as a poster. It's a little bit smaller than a poster. I'm afraid of not raising the $85 that it costs to make it. And I said to Woods the other day, I was like, A, who would buy this? B, what do you do with it once you own it? You know, and I'll sign it.
But what do you do with that? Aren't you going to bid on it to keep it from getting out on the market? Not a bad idea. That's not a bad idea. It's a shtick guy. We'll buy it. But where do you put it? He puts it in his office. Someone who is a fan of yours will keep it as memorabilia. But where do you hang it? In your office. In the shrine. In their man cave. In their man cave? Yeah. And so when people come over and see a chubby Mexican in a toucan shirt, they're like, who's that? Actually, you can't tell that you're chubby. Huh? You can't tell that you're chubby in this one because you kind of blended in the wall. Sure you can. You just see my face. It's a floating fat head. Oh, well. I didn't see it until yesterday because I originally looked at it on my phone. Didn't show up as an image. Yeah. And I saw it yesterday and I was dying laughing. It's brilliant. It's so good. I hope it raises some money. What happened to the playoffs last night, Woods? Well, my guys took care of business. The Yankees beat the Tigers 10-1, and so they have taken that series, and it's back to New York for the last game tomorrow night, which is perfect. The Rangers wrapped up their series. They are moving on to the ALCS, which is the American League Championship Series. They beat the Rays 4-3.
And yesterday the Phillies are one win away now from their fourth straight trip to the NLCS. They beat the Cardinals yesterday. And then the Diamondbacks, who were facing elimination, they won 8-1 over the Brewers. So that series is 2-1 Brewers. And we will know definitely a lot more tomorrow. And it's an exciting time of year, man. And I was... Losing my mind. I literally had my stomach. My stomach was upset all day long yesterday. Even though you intellectually know, well, it's okay if you lose a game. You can't lose them all. Yesterday, we could not lose. If we had lost yesterday, it was over. And so all day long, I mean, I was like, I don't want to be gross or anything, but my stomach was upset all day, and I'm not kidding. Like it actually gave you diarrhea? Yes. Wow. Yes. Intense. I was sick to my stomach. All day. Just knew we were going to get hammered last night. And you did not. We hammered them. 10-1. It was clutch. Good. Yeah, it was crazy. The guy that was the shooter here in San Diego that was shooting off the 805. Oh, by the way, you had more. Didn't you? No. No, okay. The shooter in San Diego, the guy that was shooting up the 805, they arrested him yesterday in Lakeview Terrace.
Well, they haven't officially said that it's this guy. Aeon is his name. And they haven't officially said that it's Enrique Aeon. But they did pull over the car. And they arrested the guy that was in the car. It's probably him. Good. So that was good news that they caught that creep. And there was another driver that called in the tip after seeing those signs that were everywhere, which is just, I mean, it's just cool to see that something like that works. Yeah, those things, by the way, were in the entire state of California. Yeah, I believe it. Saying that, you know, look out for this guy. It was in the entire state. I didn't know if it was just Southern California or what, but they lit up the whole state with those things. Amanda Knox. Free from Italy. Back in Seattle where she's from. And this was her after landing in Seattle. They're reminding me to speak in English. Because I'm having problems with that. I'm really overwhelmed right now. I was looking down from the airplane. And it seemed like everything wasn't real. What's important for me to say is just thank you to everyone.
who's believed in me, who's defended me, who's supported my family. I just want... My family's the most important thing to me right now, and I just want to go and be with them. So thank you for being there for me. Do you want to believe that she's innocent? 100%. Yeah, I want to believe she's innocent. My brain just flashed to her on the plane in Italy, waiting for the takeoff. Oh, wow. Like, please get off the ground. Please get off the ground. Come on, come on, come on. Get off the ground. Let's go. Nancy Grace does not feel that way. Nancy Grace believes that she is guilty and called it a miscarriage of justice. Weird. Yeah. Does she ever seek headlines? Well, she's maintained it, you know. She said it. She's always thought that this chick's guilty. And so she's going at it, man. Saying...
It's a miscarriage of justice. She knows the facts of the case. It would be great if we could all believe that she was innocent. But the fact of the matter is, is that the facts of the case say blah, blah, blah. Obviously not. Yeah. You know? She says she has the facts. She has. So nobody else has the facts. Right. It's like Donald Trump. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Good job. Well, you know, I'm glad she's out. I don't know. I'm just, I hope she doesn't do anything bad. I know. But I think we all want to feel that way. Is it inappropriate to ask who's hotter, her or Casey Anthony? Probably a little. I think a lot of people. Probably, yeah, probably a little inappropriate. Jay, I'm all in. Are you? Get them both mud wrestling? Yeah. It's great, guys. It's really great. Celebrity boxing match. Oh. I wonder who would win, Oswald or John Wilkes Booth in a hot concert. This story that we have about California and what they say cops can now do when they pull you over is not going to sit well with L.O.B. or J. Who are you? Of course not. Come on! Tell you what it is next.

M1 Leslie wrote in and said that she heard on 91X that they're running a music-thon to go against the Mikey-thon. Are they calling it that? A music-thon? A music-thon. And she was upset because what a cheap shot when this is an event for kids. It's ghoulish. Well, here's the deal. I will issue a challenge. I think that Rock 105 was going to do something similar to combat it. For a few hours. Which usually means that you're scared, which is fine. Trust me. I know what it's like. Trust me. Here's what the text says from M1 Leslie. It says, hey guys, wanted to share that I think that the Mikey-thon is such a great idea. I was listening to 91X last night and they made a stupid commercial about how they're going to have a music-thon to counter the Mikey-thon. I got on...
Twitter to complain about their weak attacks against your great fundraiser. I was pretty upset about these cheap shots. Love you guys. I listen to Mikey's show even when I walk into work by live streaming of the show through the internet on my phone. Good luck tomorrow. Who's the program director? Garrett Capone. Yep, Capone. He's a ghoul. He's a ghoul. That's ghoulish. And let me issue a challenge to Garrett Capone. And the people that run 91X or Clear Channel who are combating anything that we do with the fundraising, let me issue you a challenge. I will promote you on the radio if you do something altruistic to raise money for kids. That's awesome. I will promote you on the radio if you do something that is going to raise thousands of dollars for children. To counter someone whose own child is autistic. And they're raising money for it. And you do something. See, this is why I think that radio is such a, it's a disgusting industry. Okay? It's a disgusting industry. Mostly because it isn't run by people that are professional. It's run by idiots. That's just a, that is a observation of 24 years working in radio. It's run by guys. Look at me.
I'll include myself in that, by the way. I'm not even a high school graduate. I'm not even a high school graduate, okay? But you got these radio guys, okay? And these radio guys, they do this, you know, they know radio and they've known it for a long time. Guys like Garrett Capone over at 91X, they've known radio for a long time. So what do you do? How do you counter? How do you counter? They're going to do 28 hours of a straight broadcast on the radio, so how do you counter? Because they're going to kick our ass. So what do we do? We've got to counter it somehow. Oh, I know what we'll do. We'll do music-thon or radio-thon or whatever it is. You're doing something to get in the way of raising money for children, ghoul. You should be made of cement on the side of a castle looking over the moat. You're a gargoyle.
You're Garrett Capone. That comes across your desk where you dream that up and you say, yeah, that's a good idea. What are they trying to raise money for? Maybe just go, you know what, man? Whatever. Let them do their thing. Yeah, we're going to do our normal day of programming. Yeah, we do our thing. They do their thing. And this is not because I don't want to lose. This is about my son, you pissant. It's about my son. Now, does it seem like I'm using strong language? Yes, it does. Shoot the wolves. All right? Protect the sheep. Shoot the wolves. It's a figure of speech. To me, that's ghoulish. And this is about my kid. This is about my five-year-old. You moron. It's about my five-year-old. You cheapskate. It's about my five-year-old. You dick. Don't mess with Mikey-thon. Don't mess with M1s. And don't mess with my effing son who's autistic. And guess what, Garrett Capone? Until you have an autistic kid and you go through that,
Just shut up. Keep your filthy, disgusting radio mouth shut. Because you're a coward. Just like all the other radio cowards. Biggest cowards I've ever met. There are so few men in this industry. So few freaking men. I'm five foot six. And I guarantee you, I'm more of a man than you are, Garrett Capone. And as I look at the, I went to the 91X website. I wanted to find out about that turd. What used to be, I'm not kidding you, used to be a shining gem in this town. 91X used to be the shiznit. It used to be in this town. It's a heaping, stinking pile of doo-doo. That radio station, I mean, I remember when we came here and they talked about sellout. You're about the music, but you got the Mikey show on in the morning. That radio station has changed.
First of all, they've got a guy that's running the radio station that's willing to put something on to counter a charity event. That's ghoulish. You're a gargoyle. M1 Judy from San Diego. Boycott them. Boycott that freakish, ghoulish radio station. Boycott them. 91X is disgusting. That's disgusting. It disgusts me. It goes against every freaking value of San Diego. That is not a San Diego staple. That's a San Diego of a freaking disgusting culture that makes me sick. It's disgusting. Boycott them.
Wipe them off your dial. If you have 91X programmed into your dial, wipe them off your freaking dial. Don't ever listen to them. And don't buy their sponsors and don't do anything they do. Because they're freaking gargoyles. Men. There are so few men. That guy is a putz. Don't get in the way of me and my kid. Capone. Just because your last name's gangster doesn't mean you are. Freaking moron. Tap your little red shoes together and go the hell back to wherever you came from. Because I know you're new in San Diego. You freak. And that goes for all the other gargoyles that work there. Even the ones that used to work here. Don't get in the way of me and my son. You walk around like your crank's bigger than anything else in the world. You're a bunch of P-words. That's unbelievable. Every time I think about it, I see my son.
Yeah. I see your son. You know how much I love your son. Yes. We're going to program against Mikey's son. Yeah. 91X hates kids. The new tagline. That's a t-shirt that Jay has on. Yeah, it's 91X. We hate autism. Yeah. That's unbelievable. Hey, Capone, walk a mile. Yeah, seriously. Douchebag, walk a mile. Now, you know when anger's appropriate, by the way? When it has to do with someone you love and you're protecting something and someone you love. Defend your family and your brother. It's my family. Yep. And my brother. It's an honor to defend your brother. You pigs. That's shocking, man. That's shocking, yeah. M1 Captain Mo from San Diego. What's going on there, Mikey Show? What's up? Yeah, I was just going to say, right as you said, take 91X off the presets, right a half a second before you, I was changing it to, I went to the first radio station I could find, which was some Mexican polka type. Music station. I preset that right away. Wipe them off the map. Wipe them off your radio. Get them off your radio. They make me sick. 91X makes me sick. Get them off your radio. They're a disgusting, ghoulish, gargoylish radio station. And that makes me sick. Get them off your radio station. If you listen to a second of that music tomorrow, you're a freaking gargoyle. Because what we're doing here tomorrow is about autism. And my son.
There was a time where it wasn't, by the way. There was a time where I could care less. All it was about was ratings. That's all it was about. It's about my boy, Jake. And it's disgusting. It makes me sick that they would run a promo that says, they're going to be talking, so we're going to be playing. You freaking radio dorks. And we haven't had our promo running that long. No. No. You're trolling and then you're putting that out there. And if anybody wants to call from 91X, call them, by the way. If you're listening right now and you know Capone or you know any of those douches, call them. Or maybe one of the haters of the Mikey show that writes for the reader. You can call, too. I don't care. It's just gross. It's just freaking gross. How about this? I've always said this, by the way. This is the way that a morning radio show should work. We all put out our breakfast and if it tastes good, you eat it. Yeah. That's it. If it tastes good, you eat it. If you don't, then don't. Yesterday, my shrink said to me, well, there's something about you that people like. Because I was telling her how much I don't at times like me. Okay? All I have is the ability to tell you what's inside of my guts. 91X is freakish. They're the people that look at an autistic kid and make fun of it. Yep. Laugh. They're bullies. They're creeps.
And I want you to metaphorically kick them in their effing teeth by taking them off your dial. Take 91X off your dial and wipe them off of the San Diego radio map because they're not who they used to be. They used to be cool. They're not cool anymore. They're the opposite of cool. In fact, they're quite uncool. And they're cowardly. And they're wimps. M1 Mikey from San Diego. Mikey, how are you doing this morning? What's going on? Oh, nothing, man. I hated 91X forever. I don't listen to 105.3 anymore because I got stopped when they kicked you. 94.9, I was so stoked to hear your voice again. Thank you, man. Thank you. I believe in what you're doing. It's very... You know, I'll tell you what, man. For a year and a half, all I was was scared. And now I'm not afraid to tell you. This is what I love in order. God, my wife...
My kids and my job. God numero uno. And I'm not I don't care who doesn't like it. I mean, I do care. I want you to like it. I do. So I was being dishonest by saying I don't care. I do want you to like it. But those are the things that are important to me. And my little boy is really important to me. And so understand. Garrett Capone, program director of 91X, that when you go on and you program against my son, his daddy's going to take the lumber to you, you freak. M1 Adam from San Diego. What's up? Start a Twitter thing right now. I want everybody listening right now, if you're part of the M1 Army. Someone already did. If you're a part of the M1 Army, and even if you're not, if you're a passive listener, I want you to get on Twitter. And I want you to make it one of those pound symbols. And I want it to be 91X sucks. I don't care how you put it. I have a 91X hates kids. That's one that's coming out. They all work. No, they hate kids. It's true. I think you should make that. Thank you. And that's my whole deal. I don't do any charity or anything that supports kids. And what you guys are doing is great. That's disgusting. Thank you. Thank you for the call.
It's disgusting. Get on Twitter. Get on Facebook. And I want people to know. That's all I want. I want light to be shined on that darkness. So I want you to spread the word that 91X is ghoulish and should be wiped off of your radio landscape. It should not be a preset on your radio. And I want you to spread that virally. I want people in Philadelphia this afternoon to go, I wonder what 91X is. I want people that are vacationing today in Cairo but have a world phone to get a Twitter feed and they go, something must be happening back in San Diego. But apparently 91X is against autism. You know, 91X, if you were really, if you weren't ghoulish, you know what you should do? You should donate $100,000 to the cause of autism. And I'll tell you what, if you do, I'll promote you. Absolutely. And I'll do that without getting the permission of Rick Jackson, our general manager, or Garrett, our program director, who's actually the good Garrett, not the bad Garrett. And I'll promote you. Give $100,000. Give $100,000. But don't get in the way of a charity for kids. Don't promote it. No. Don't be so blatant and...
obvious about promoting something that is good and like you said altruistic and it's we have i we have a listener and she has an autistic daughter she posted something on facebook yesterday that i it made me cry there was a picture of her daughter and it said god gave you to me and god made me your mother and i'm here to fight your battles for the rest of your life and dude i'm sitting in bed and i'm like And I, I mean, that was it for me. I lost it, dude. I mean, I got tears in my eyes right now. This is why I'm your mother. You got a kid? Yep. Think about your kid. Yeah. Think about your kid. And think about some moron on the radio who says, I'm going to program against your kid. That's so weak. It's unbelievable. Because I want to raise money. And I want to wipe autism off the face of the earth. Yeah. And a radio station that would go and program against it. Goes outside of the lines of goodness. Yeah, competition. That's not even good competition. That's not even competition, man. No, it's not friendly competition. And it isn't business. No, it ain't business. If you want to make the point that it's business, I want you to know that there are tears streaming down my face. My kid is not business. Don't ever make the mistake, Garrett Capone, 91X or Clear Channel.
Or Jack FM. Or any of the other radio stations that compete. Don't ever make the mistake that my son is fair game. Because he's not. And I'll defend him with extreme prejudice. All five foot six of me. Let me tell you. God didn't give me a lot. But he gave me a mouthpiece. And I will convince every one of my listeners to wipe you off the map. Take 91X. off of your radio take 91x off of your radio presets get them off of your radio presets because they're disgusting that's not competition it's outside the boundaries when you are in a fight you don't hit people in the balls because it makes you a coward if you hit them in the balls it makes you a coward you don't say well no that's just good fighting no it isn't means you're a pussy yeah
It means you're a coward. And 91X is a cowardly radio station who likes the smell of their own gas. And it's time. It's time. Everybody knows it. So take them off your radio. Take them off your radio and go to every viral form of social media and say what they're doing. Let everyone know. M1 Surf Daddy from Swami's. What's going on? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, man. I just want people to know who they are and who we are. Oh, they will. Sure. Thank you. We love you guys. Thanks, man. Love you. All right. I'm going to put on the Facebook status, take.
91X off your dial. And if you're a business, show your support by putting 94.9 on right now. Show your support by boycotting their sponsors. Cancel your advertising right now. That makes me sick. Who wants to advertise on a monster station? Well, they don't know. That's why I'm glad they're going to know now. Or either they heard it and they thought, well, you know, whatever. It's gross. It's disgusting. It makes me sick. And I want everyone to know it. And that's that. When we come back, who knows? Maybe I'll still be fired up.

And I want to thank listeners who are basically letting 91X know what they think about what they're doing tomorrow during our Mikey-thon. The idea of Mikey-thon is that we're raising money for the Autism Discovery Institute. And in the spirit of competition, 91X...
has decided to go on the air and counter-program that to give you an alternative to raise, you know, for those of you that want an alternative to eradicating autism, we've got a place for you. Yeah, you can come and you can listen to Incubus. That's right. And just have a great time. Yes, instead of eradicating something that affects one out of every 110 children, we know that there are some of you that want an alternative to that. And so we'd like to be the alternative. to either finding a cure or providing resources to those families that are like Mike and Rebecca, who have an autistic son named Jake, who's five years old, who is a good boy. He's a good boy. He's one of my favorite people in the whole world. Me too. Without question. So cute. And to think that there's a radio station that wants to compete with that.
See, years ago, I don't think it would have happened. It's the reason for Be Different. It's the reason for the black wristband that I have on. This is Be Different. The reason for Be Different is because we want you to be different than people like the folks that run 91X. When you see that brand, when you see the black with the yellow 91X, it should disgust you. It should make you sick. It makes me sick. Because every time I see it, I want you to think of my boy. Because I will. I am. I'll be honest with you. This morning was one of the first times that I actually thought about other autistic kids. So selfishly, I will tell you, I think about my boy. I think about my son. Selfishly, I'll tell you that. I know it helps other people. But I want to see my son.
I want to talk to my son. And I can't. If you have a heart beating in your chest, take them off of your radio dial because they're disgusting. A guy wrote on the Facebook page. He said, hey, Mike, you know, I want to plead with you. He said, your anger in the moment only makes sense. But I'd like to make an appeal to you to turn the other cheek. Your fans love you. Despite the other station being out there, being this vindictive this early in the. In the morning, even when it's in fact provoked, especially this close to a beloved event, isn't going to be good for anyone. Gordon Bombay. Well, Gordon, I do believe in turning the other cheek. I do. I believe in God defending me. I know that he is good to that promise. But I also know that there is a time to be angry. You see, whatever you get angry about.
And I've said this before. Anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. And I'm all three. I'm hurt that a radio station would program against the Mikeethon, which is raising money for my kid. I'm sad because there's a radio station that is programming against my kid. And I'm fearful that one person, one, would not listen to us. Because they want to hear Incubus. I'm afraid of that. I'm being honest. And so I'm appealing to you to recognize what they are, which is ghoulish and awful. And I'm asking you to virally. And I also want to ask you this, especially if you're a part of this thing called M1 Nation. I don't want you to curse. I don't want you to be.
I don't want you to curse. I don't want you to be vindictive about it. I want you to state the facts. I want you to state that they're programming against autism and it's disgusting. I want you to state the fact that you want people to listen to FM 94.9 tomorrow. And I want you to point out exactly who they are. Cowards. That's what I want you to do. I believe that... There is an appropriate time for anger when it comes to protecting my son, who cannot, by the way, defend himself and is so sweet. He doesn't even understand. He doesn't understand what Garrett Capone is doing at 91X. My little boy is so sweet. He wouldn't understand it. He wouldn't even. And even if he could, he doesn't have the cognitive ability to. And perhaps Garrett Capone didn't think that when he decided to.
provide an alternative to raising money for children. Maybe he didn't think that. And that's okay. He has a right to do it. I said that yesterday. I said, hey, man, it's a free country. You have a right to. We have a right to be disgusted. We have a right to be different. We have a right to say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, sorry. We have a right to take to the internet. We have a right to take to Twitter. We have a right to take... to every form of social media that we have and expose 91X as ghouls and anyone else that would program against it. What I won't defend and what I shouldn't defend and what I talked to my shrink about defending yesterday is myself. Although I want to. I want to defend myself. But don't stand in the way of my kid and don't stand in the way of autism. Don't do that. If you do that, we have this thing called the M1 Nation that's very large.
And they are already taking to Twitter. And they're already taking to all the forms of media. M1, Mike from Encinitas. What's up? I sent you an email last week and I was talking to Jay about this. One of the things I wanted to do during the MikeyCon tomorrow was if you wanted to set up a time, say anything on the website, that I would match it. A thousand bucks. And you know what? And I wanted to say that I'll double that. I love you. I love you. Love you. Thank you, bro. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I want to say thank you to you because the reason I get so motivated when you do these Mikey-thons is you probably don't even remember, but you took time out of your life once to help my son. Jake. I have a son named Jake. And you took time out to help him. So I'm always motivated to help you where God calls me.
I'll just tell you I'm fired up today, and I wish you all the best, and good luck. Thank you. I hope we do some good tomorrow. Thank you, man. I appreciate it. Thank you very much, dude. Thank you. My pleasure. Wow. I didn't plan on crying today. I thought I'd save him until at least Friday morning. I didn't either. I didn't either, but I didn't know about it. I didn't know about it, and I'll tell you, I'm so glad that I know. Yeah. I'm so glad that I know. That's not about, listen, tomorrow's not about radio, man. It's about raising money. I want to raise so much money. So there's Mikey-thons everywhere. There's Mikey-thons everywhere. Raise money. I don't want one parent to have to go through that. I don't want one parent to go through autism. And everybody that's got a kid that's autistic, and let me tell you something, man. I remember I had a specific moment in my mind when I was young, when I was in my 20s. And somebody made a joke about autism. And I remember I laughed. It was funny. I laughed. That moment is in my brain like a stamp. You know, it was in my brain like a stamp. And I didn't know anything about it. I'm still learning about it. But I can tell you this. It's gnarly. It's gnarly. And it robs you. And so anyway.
Just wanted to let people know. We're going to be on television with big red eyes. Yeah. All of us. Every one of us here on the Mikey Show. But we're going to be on the CW6 and we're connecting via Skype. So I've effectively made the room 150,000 degrees. You notice that now? Yeah, well, I set it down. I know. I'm sweating. It feels okay to me. I'm fine. I feel like Patrick Ewing after a double overtime game in the garden when the AC went out. All right? I know. Well, we'll tell the engineers. They'll have to show us how to use the thing. You dummy. What the hell do you do? So we're connecting with him. Let's see. And thank you. M1s are great. They're the best. They're on it. Yeah. Extremely loyal and just they take to it, man. You give them a directive and they show up in spades. Let's see. All right. So we have that going. Got that on. And what are we doing, Jay? We're waiting for them to pick up. They're typing right now. Oh, cool. I've never used Skype. I did. We want to take you live back to the Bay Area this morning to give you an update on this breaking news. Two people are. So that's them.
We can hear him. Yeah, we can hear him. Yeah. That's cool. This happened just a short time ago. The suspect has been identified as a man from San Jose who is still on the loose. A gunman reportedly contacted police. Breaking news. Again, what we know right now, two people confirmed dead. The suspect not in custody. We will update you on this just as soon as more information becomes available. Amanda Knox is enjoying her newfound freedom this morning. Yeah, so we're going to be on CW6. It's going to be great. We'll tell you when. Mornings with Mark Bailey, who's a cool dude. Really cool dude. Heather Myers, who's a great chick. I've met them both. San Diego, six in the morning. They got all the news that you need, plus weather and traffic on the sixes. And you know what's going on with the weather. San Diego, six in the morning. It's Renee Cohn. and you can tune in weekdays for weather and traffic every 10 minutes on the sixes. So there it is. We're getting dialed in, and it worked on yours, right, Jay? Yes. Oh, boy. There's no reason it should work on yours. Maybe they're not ready to come to us yet. That might be it. And it looks like they're not. It looks like they're doing stuff. Well, we could play Smart Guy. Do you know offhand what the prize is today, Jay, or no?
It's okay if you don't. It is the Del Mar Scaregrounds. There you go. You want to go to the Del Mar Scaregrounds? Call us right now, 570-1949. Now, the key here is you're going to get a choice. Here's how we play smart guy. You've got to be a smart guy. You're going to tell me about, I'm going to give you all these clues, and you've got to tell me either who I am, what I am, or where I am. It could be anything. Yep. And you've got to do it within seven guesses. You get up to seven guesses. If you can't figure it out by seven guesses, you lose. It's that easy. So call us up, 570-1949, if you want to play Smart Guy. And we'll give you tickets to the Scare Grounds if you win. First up is M1J from Bay Park. Are you there, Jay? Here. Okay, cool. Are you ready to play Smart Guy? Ready. Okay. Now, I'm going to give you the choice.
You can decide on whether you want to choose who I am, what I am, or where I am. Where I am. All right. Again, you'll get seven choices, and you've got to come up with the answer by at least seven questions. So what you're going to do is you get to ask me a question, and I'll tell you yes or no. So you get a guess. You get a clue. And then you'll get a guess. If you can't get it, we'll move on. Are you ready? Yeah. Okay. I'm a building. I'm a building in North America. Empire State Building. Nope. George Washington never slept here. White House. That's it. Oh, my God. Are you kidding? Yeah. Holy cow. Good job. Hang on the line. He won. All right. Jay, I got that up. Okay. Are they ready to go?
They said that, can you hear us, is what they asked. Well, we could hear them before. Okay, we need to leave them where we can hear them because they're going to come to us when they bust in. I could hear them before, but now I can't hear them anymore. They probably quit feeding whatever it was they were doing down the line, and they're only going to talk to you when they are ready to talk to you. Okay, that's fine. You can see them live up there. Okay, yeah, and we got it on. If you're at home, if you're still at home, you're not in your car, put it on CW6, and you'll be able to see us all. So you guys... As soon as I tell you guys, I'll have you guys come around. Woods and L.O.B. Do I have any snuff in my teeth? No, you look sharp. Snuff? Nope. I wish I'd have thought. Yeah, did you dress up on purpose? You look nice. I don't know what you're talking about. Did you remember L.O.B.? No, I totally forgot. I forgot. I forgot I remembered and I was like, what do I have? What am I going to do? You guys are so used to being on TV. I'm not. Exactly. I'm just kind of a man of the people. We're TV stars. Yeah, you guys are TV stars. That would be a good talk to have. Yeah, some people I know actually ask their person that they're planning on marrying to do a credit check before the meeting. All right, so come around, guys. I don't know how awkward that conversation must be, but maybe it's worth talking about. Let's see. Thanks, Ken. Have a good morning. Say that with a rose between your teeth. I still love you.
Let's talk about that credit report. Where do you take someone to dinner for that? What kind of card goes with that? Hallmark's got to have one. Hallmark, I'm sure, does. Can you hear me okay? Yep, I can hear you. All right, Stormy San Diego, let's chat about what we are in store for. The rain has not gotten here yet. Can you hear me? About as much as possible west of the mountains and in the desert areas for today and tomorrow. You've got to bear with us, M1s. We're going to be live on Channel 6. It's possible we could see some flash flooding potential, too, with the heavy amount of rain in a short amount of time. Wind advisory. I hope they can hear us. For the mountain and the deserts, that kicks off at 1 o'clock this afternoon. And very cool. Jackets needed. Did you hear that, kiddos? I know. Jackets needed. Mom knows best. And some umbrellas would come in handy, too. Hi, Jay. Can you hear me? I can hear you. Can I have a thumbs up if you can hear me? Okay, great. I can hear you for some reason, but I'm sure it's okay. You are speaking with Heather and Courtney, and it's coming up in about one minute. So one minute.
to it, and that is why we're going to see some pretty good rainfall totals, which is a winter-like storm showing up very early in our fall season. Six-day forecast straight ahead. Let you know when you can leave those umbrellas behind. But let's cover your behind with a look at the traffic. We've got a stalled car. I'll switch it if we need to. If we need to. And that is blocking the on-rack. Okay, standby for toss. Down to about the highest. Enjoy your Wednesday, ladies. Renee, thank you. We have a special treat for you this morning. We are joining the Mikey Show from 94.9. Hi. This morning via Skype. Hi. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Good morning. Can you hear us? We can. Can you hear us? We can hear you perfectly. Skype stuff. Fancy, fancy. Hey, by the way, Mikey. And crew, I'm a huge fan. Thank you. I've been following you for a really long time. I love what you're doing here in San Diego. Thank you. And especially what you're doing with being on the radio for 28 straight hours. Have you lost your mind? Yeah, we have. But we're trying to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital and for their Autism Discovery Institute. And so 28 hours, it's nothing.
Yeah, Mikey, I know that there's obviously a personal connection with all this. You kind of want to bring our viewers up to date on why you do this and obviously why it's so close to your heart. Absolutely. The reason that we do it is because my son, Jake, my oldest son, five years old, beautiful kid, was diagnosed high-functioning autistic. And we got him into services at Rady Children's Hospital. It absolutely changed his life and changed our life. And we want to raise a lot of money and a lot of people, local celebrities in sports and music, everybody from Switchfoot to Heath Bell from the Padres to the band POD. They've all come together with us with all kinds of people and donated a lot of auction items that tomorrow we're going to be auctioning off. So great. Think about that program at Rady Children's Hospital, Mikey, because I think when parents get the diagnosis that their child has autism, no matter what level it is, it's so frightening. But the bottom line is, is they are making big strides. They're making incredible strides. And I think the most important thing for you to know is that if you have a concern for your child, that you get them in to be evaluated as early as possible for us.
That came before Jake was even two years old. And what the Autism Discovery Institute does is they'll take typical toddlers and they will integrate them with kids that have autism and they will teach these kids with autism how to do things that they wouldn't otherwise know how to do. They're really good at that. In fact, they're probably better at it than anybody in the country. And we're so lucky to have... rady right here in san diego and that's why it's so important to us uh when i say us i mean all of us here on the mikey show lauren woods and jay uh who have all met my son jake and to me and my wife rebecca personally it just means so much to us and to all the people who have kids with autism to do that Absolutely. And Mikey, I know a lot of people may be watching this morning, might be in a position where they're questioning something about their child. What would be your message to them right now? Because it obviously is hard to pick up the phone and, you know, try and figure out what step is next. What would you want to tell them this morning? You know, just being really, really honest with you. I'll tell you that mostly it's dads, me. I was in denial. So don't be in denial. If, you know, if your wife is noticing something that she knows is different or thinks is different.
By all means, call Rady and get them evaluated. Or go to your local pediatrician and ask your pediatrician how you can have your child evaluated. But don't ignore the warning signs. And some of the warning signs are from a very early age. They're not making eye contact. They're not hitting those social benchmarks that they should. If you notice it, get them in to be evaluated. By the way, how much coffee or Red Bull will the four of you be consuming? It's a good question. Radio cast. It's a good question. And I have, you know, I've been doing this for a few years. And so my advice to everybody is that we do not have caffeine until 1 a.m. in the morning. 1 a.m. in the morning. So we'll start at 6 a.m. Tomorrow morning, we will start at 6 a.m. here at 9849. And we will go for 28 straight hours broadcasting. And I say, let's not have caffeine until 1 o'clock in the morning. Because if you have caffeine before then, you crash.
Yeah. Okay. There's a good point to that. I still think that's nuts, but there is a good point to that. Thank you. Hey, you guys, good luck. Have so much fun. I will definitely be listening. Please give Lauren a big hug for me, by the way, because I had a chance to meet her, and I just really enjoyed her company. Lauren, she said to give you a big hug. Hi, Heather. Yeah, that's right. Big hugs, big hugs. Thanks, Mikey, and thank you, of course, for what you're doing. Thank you so much, guys, for having us on. Thank you. Good luck. Have a great day. Get prepared. All right. We'll see you. I have no coffee. There it is. Until one in the morning. I don't know how they're going to do that. I hope they have their sensor button ready. You never know what might pop out of your mouth. Let's see. I look like a whale. Well, you know, Skype does put 40 pounds on you. Apparently. Just a great white whale. Yeah. Just butt white. I was looking at that going, oh boy, am I obese? Am I just... It's the webcam distortion capabilities, I believe. Lauren, couldn't you wear something like tight? Like a tight shirt? And we're trying to get more mail.
What's Mel? What's Mel? Like Mel Gibson? Like Mel Brooks? So, in the midst of you talking about your son and how much he means to you, somebody had their hand in my pants and was yanking my boxers up my crack. Oh my gosh, Jay. Here's me. Yeah, I'm like, if he's not making my contact. And Jay's like, yeah, exactly, dude. Okay, we gotta do this. And don't forget that 91X hates kids. Yep, hates kids. Brands of cold cuts that say, well, they're sort of, kind of, almost as good as Boar's Head. Truth is, they're not even close.
Being borsaid means using only the best cuts of meat and the highest quality artisan cheese. These cost money, and wannabes won't spend it. Being borsaid means never using scraps or artificial colors, never cutting corners to save a few cents, never making compromises. I'm seeing sunset was approaching head eye in the face, and there might even be a few actually that large. Looking at the south winds running this morning, they'll kind of disrupting surface textures. Not that bad by now, but better for more protected areas for structured zones or the man-made areas that will protect you from those southerly winds. And I don't know, not looking too bad. I'm going to go try to grab a few myself. For up to the minute, surface forecast, go to surfground.com. For your repair needs, go see Joe Roper. The Authentic Surf Report can be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I know a lot of girly stuff. Woods. I've bathed myself in ranch. Lauren. I'm all about the discounts and reviews. And Jay. Whenever I go to a party, I'll bring beer, but I bring beer for myself. On FM 94.9. Not know how to work a... Air conditioner? Yeah. What happened to the air conditioner? Whatever happened? You know, and there's another thing. What's the deal with these newfangled air conditioners anyway? Andy, what did you used to do, Andy Rooney, back in the day? Well, back in the day, we just used to put a big block of ice in front of a fan. Cooled us off in the summertime. When we didn't do that, we actually did something that no one in the last quarter century has done. What's that?
Went outdoors and went into a pond. A creek. A creek. Or a creek. No one's done that for a long time. Nowadays, they've got the YMCA or whatever, but nobody wants to go there because somebody heard that one time somebody vomited or something. Athlete's foot, too. Athlete's foot. Well, I want you to know you can still go. But now, air conditioners are so antiquated. Why, the other day, I had to call over a friend of mine who's an engineer at IBM just to try to get it to be 71 degrees. That's a true story. Well, I couldn't get it to be 71, and here I sit, old, fat, and sweating. It feels like what I would imagine the Bonnaroo Festival in Nashville to feel like after a long, hot day of bands playing. Oh, man, we're not even close to that. That is a true story. It's hot. It was one degree this morning. And when we came in, you could hang cuts of dry-aged New York steak. It was like Duluth, Minnesota this morning. Should I get an engineer on the horn? Maybe before this place shuts down. Yes, that's the other thing. I told you you shouldn't mess with it. You know what? You have a degree? No, I don't. Well, then you shouldn't be playing with the air conditioner.
It's so hot. But our lips are turning blue. Yeah, we look like we're in the Titanic at the end of the movie. We're building a fire. What's more of a hazard? Turned off. What, Jay? You had it turned off. How? And that turned it off? Oh, that's simple. Now I feel air. Yeah, it's the power button. You dummy. I was begging Rose. When we first came in here, I was begging Rose to let me on the door of the Titanic. Now we're seeing mirages. Yeah, exactly. Now I'm cutting a camel open just to see if there's any water in the belly. Wile E. Coyote's in here setting off rockets. Yeah, now that feels good, Jay. Oh, yeah, it's better. Which would you rather have, freezing cold or just unbearable heat? Unbearable heat. Not me. I think I'd take the freezing cold. Cold. It physically hurts me.
I shake and then my bones ache. Girls, when it's cold, I think girls are different than guys. Probably because they don't have as much fat. And that's a true statement. And they get periods, too. That's how they're different. Yeah, I know. I know that. I thought we agreed not to talk about that. I love to talk about that. I forgot about that. Remember, it's what you didn't want it. Because it made you feel uncomfortable. We also have different sexual organs. I mean, we could go through a list. We don't have to, though. We don't have to. Guys are good storytellers. Thank you. Women aren't good storytellers for the most part. Right? They give you too many details. All right, we can just move on. Yeah, I don't blame you, L.O.B. They're prettier than we are. Women are knockers. They have knockers. Well, we have knockers, some of us. Well, now it's to the point where you can't tell a girl in the elevator that she's got nice knockers. Right. You get slapped. Last week, I had to meet with someone called HR. That's a department. I didn't even know that, L.O.B., until I met with them. Resources. Human resources. Now, why did I have to? Because I was in an elevator with L.O.B., and when she turned around, I said, wow, you've got an amazing butt. Yes, that did happen. And you reported him? Well, then I touched it. Oh. Yeah, that's where he crossed the line. And I felt that in 1945, back in the Army,
We would do that all the time. Why, if I were in the Philippines or Japan and I saw a geisha girl who held my fancy, I'd reach out and touch someone. If you wanted it, you took it. Yes. And L.O.B. said to me, why, Andy? That's inappropriate. Pardon me? I didn't know. Now I know. And then you held it there for a while, even after I said that's inappropriate. You just didn't seem to move your crusty old hand from my caboose. That is true. To my defense, it is wonderful. Well, I think at one point my butt was actually holding up your hand because you didn't have much muscle tone going on. I almost had a heart attack. I know. She's quite lovely. She is lovely, Andy. You know. I find Mikey funny. So do we. Funny looking. Plus, I always love a good Mexican. And as a matter of fact, back in the 40s... I don't like where this is going. You can't really say that. Back in the 40s, I used to say to my best friend Benny, You know, Benny, those Mexicans make wonderful jockeys, don't they? Wow. Mikey would not make a good jockey.
Even though he's Mexican. Well, he's too tall. No. No. He's much too fat. Wow. He's a little tall for a jockey. He is, Andy. Slightly. Slightly. Well, I was going to say he's too short to be a jockey. Yeah. I was going to say poor horse. Jay was going to say per horse. I think I said it very clearly. Wow. Let's not disrupt the unity. We had good unity going here. Yes, we did. You know what I'm saying? That's right. We're in the Sahara. That's right. Nice out here. Jay, thank you for turning that air back on. It's getting much better. Thank you. You're welcome. Much better. If it could just stay right where it is right now. It'd be wonderful. It's perfect. Okay, so here's what California has decided. You tell me if this bothers you. Oh, man. I saw the headline and I am mad. What now? Well, Woods and L.O.B. and Jay, this is mostly going to bother you guys. But California just made a huge statement by saying that if they pull you over, they do have a right to rifle through your cell phone during a traffic violation stop. Why?
Well, it was because of a traffic stop with a driver with some gun photos on his phone while back in Santa Cruz. You see, guy was pulled over. He's 25 years old, clearly under the influence of drugs. And they had to impound his vehicle because he couldn't drive. And when they impounded his vehicle, you know, one of the items that they took into their possession was his cell phone. So they turned it on. They saw a picture of him with an AK, two AKs. That got their curiosity. They showed it to a judge. The judge granted them a search warrant where they found $15,000 in cash, a cache of weapons, and pot-growing paraphernalia. So, an appellate court just decided that they are going to approve cell phone searches during traffic. That is insane. That's insane. Yeah, it does sound kind of insane. Now, my guess is it's not...
I don't think we're going to see a lot of it, honestly. I really mean it. I think that if you get pulled over for a traffic violation and you have your cell phone in your pocket or whatever, I really don't believe that what cops are going to start doing is going, let me see that. Do you have a cell phone? No. Yes. Whatever you say. If you say yes, let me see it. You know what I'll say? Here you go. Go for it. Me too. Mine's locked. I will not. Yeah, good call. Mine's locked. Have at it, Chief. Have at it. And here's the thing, too, that they could do. This is what I'm thinking. Okay, let me see your cell phone. Let me look at the last call or text or something that you did. Where are you coming from? So they can calculate, like, how long you've been on the road and if you've sent a text. Yeah. Give you a big hefty ticket for that. Well, then you could tell them you weren't on the road, though. You pulled over and sent that text. Yeah, I guess so. Get, dude, with that. M1 Sticky Fingers from San Diego. Are you there? Yes. Hey, what was the word of the day? Unity. Congrats. You're going to see Blink at Cricket on the 6th. Thank you, guys. Yep, you got it. Hang on the line. Is it to the point where we're going to have to delete all the dirty pictures on our own cell phones? Yeah, I mean, I can't even sell dong anymore. Oh, wow. My gosh. I've had it. I'm done. Well, I got a picture in here of Katy Perry's boobs, and I don't necessarily want the cops looking at that.
That might get you out of the ticket, though. That's true. Why do you have a picture of that? Because a friend texted it to me. And it's fantastic. And it's fantastic. Fantastic. I'll text it to you if you want. I don't. Okay. I'd like it. Okay, I'll text it to you. Oh, like you don't already have it. It's your screensaver. Please. He's got a t-shirt. He's already sent it to Jared to have a t-shirt made on it. A portrait print. A portrait print. For his office. Cardboard cut out of her. He has sunglasses and the inside of them are painted. So did Nancy Grace, who was on Dancing with the Stars, did she fart on Dancing with the Stars? Now, this is an 18 second long clip. Don't play any effects because I want to be able to hear this audio. 18 second long clip, approximately 11 seconds into it is where The alleged fart occurs. We don't know. Let's listen. Have not heard this. No, sorry. Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Stop. Don't. You're stopping me. Stop it. Stop doing what you're doing. All right, here we go. It's because I had this thing set up for the television. All right, here we go. Come on over here, Princess Nancy. What a gift to be able to share that footage forever with your twins. Do you think you did them proud tonight? I hope so. I saw them several times during the dance, and they were smiling so big.
Well, let's see if the judges can give us something to smile about after this very emotional night. Of course, please. Yeah, that sounds like a toot. She was cracking up, too. Oh, my goodness. That sounds... It was very long. Yes, it was. I'm so big. Maybe it's a stomach? Hold on. It could be a stomach. What was? Let it go again. All right. So big. Well, let's see if the judges can give us something to smile about. Was that it? Or was it the... It was both. Was it the... It's the... And then it was the... Okay, good. One more time. Well, let's see if the judges can give us something to smile about after this very emotional night. I'll say they can. I like who's on the line. Is this Nancy Grace? Nancy Grace. TV's Nancy Grace. We know you're on TV. Yeah, apparently. Playing clips of me on TV. Well, we have a clip of you from Dancing with the Stars that clearly shows that 11 seconds into it, it sounds like a toot. I know. It really is. One more time. Let me play it. Ooh. God, what'd you eat? What is going on? Broccoli and crab cakes? What's the deal with that, Nancy Grace? I was listening earlier. Yes? I heard you say something about 91X hates kids. True fact. True statement.
Are you in fact a bunch of children that 901X hates? No. Is that the deal? No. No. Are you making fart jokes? Yes. Yes. Highbrow humor? I never claimed it was highbrow. I just claimed that it was something that makes us laugh. We just report on it. Yeah, guys think that's funny. A lot of women don't understand it. It's funny, Mike, because last night when I was on Dancing with the Stars, a singer called some sort of chubby Mexican rolling around. Are you saying, are you comparing me or are you falsely mistaking me for someone else? I think so, Mike. I think you are. Is he? He was chubby. Yeah. Okay. He had a whoop-a-cushion. And here's the kicker. Is that Chasmo? When he left, he had a giant Tommy Bahama logo on the back of his shirt. She's making it up. That is you. That's not me. That's a joke that's made about me. Joke that's made about me all the time that I wear Tommy Bahama. I don't. It was you. No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. I have another bone to pick with you, Mike. What? Listen, Amanda Knox.
Yeah, you don't like Amanda Knox. Why do you think that? There was a lot of information and evidence. Wouldn't know who that is because my name is Mike. Why are you saying that with such... Yeah, you're really putting the emphasis on the Hispanic part. I'm not Spanish. No. No. No. No. I'm not Spanish. I'm not Spanish. Is she saying that you were there? I didn't. I didn't. I've never been to Italy. You were playing sex games in Italy four years ago. I wasn't playing reindeer games. Reindeer sex games. You don't. You don't. On a horse. On a horse. On a horse. Oh, on a horse. Oh, you creep. You're a creep. That is creepy. You're a creep. Get off. Get out. Catch it. All right. I'm sure you are. Thank you. I like her. Do you? Yeah. I don't like her. She's mean to me. She's a sweetheart. Makes things up about me. Aren't true? New iPhone's out to you now. The new iPhone.
Stock dropped 5%. That makes total sense. Perfect. Why is EBW here? Why is Eskimo Blue Waters here? I didn't even know she was coming. She's out in the lobby. We'll find out. I have to do the robot. I like it. I like the robot. So the guy that we are about to talk to is a stud. Stud.
This is insane. Thanks for having me, Mike. No, it is not you. It is not you. We are about to talk to Ed Visters. Let me tell you what Ed, what he's done and what he has written about. Let me get him on the line. Ed, are you there? It's great to have you on. Thank you. You have done and seen what most people will never go to and see. And it's called Annapurna. Did I pronounce it correctly? That's right. First of all, Annapurna is not as well known as Mount Everest, which is the highest peak in the world. It's also not as well known as K2, which is the second highest. But what it is known as is the most deadly. See, since 1950, 150 people have attempted to summit Annapurna.
And 58 human beings have died trying to reach its summit. Among climbers, it's considered to be one of the most daunting ascents because it has no root. It has no ridge. It has no face on any side of the mountain. This is one of the toughest climbs that a man can ever attempt. Ed, you've done it, correct? up man yeah thank you you've done it i've done it yeah and it uh it was a hard nut to crack it took me three expeditions to finally get it to do it when you were uh doing it for the first time were there times where you were climbing that mountain and you thought to yourself 58 people have died doing this will there be 59 and will it be me oh yeah that first trip i mean i knew the history i'd done my homework
I'd done the research. I knew the statistics. And so I went there very cautiously with an open mind, thinking, you know, if conditions for some reason are amazing, maybe I'll get up this thing. But, you know, Annapurna, when I was there on my first trip, showed her true colors. And I was there with three partners. And we looked at each other after a couple of weeks of attempting to climb it. And we just said, you know what? We're heading home. This thing is not safe. It doesn't. feel good, we're not having fun, and we walked away. What made that decision? What was going on? What were the conditions that made you go, we're done, we're getting out of here? Based on the architecture of Annapurna, there's avalanches and ice blocks that shower down from up on high, and as you're climbing from below, it's basically like trying to dodge traffic, and it's like Russian roulette. And when conditions are like that, And they're consistent day in and day out. You've got to just realize that, you know, chances of success are slim. Chances of survival are slim as well. And you've got to pull the plug and say, you know what? Not today. He has written a book and it's called obsession. It's called the will to climb obsession and commitment and the quest to climb Annapurna, the world's deadliest peak. For me, it's fascinating. And for anybody, it's fascinating because.
It's deadly. It's absolutely deadly. Huge blocks of ice falling. You trying to get through it. Three times it took for you to lick it. And even that third time, I'm sure you were going, I don't know that I can do it. I want to know what it was like for you the moment that you made the summit. What time of day was it? And what went through your body? I remember the time. It was 2 o'clock exactly in the afternoon. We'd left our last... camp at three in the morning and it took us 11 hours to climb to the top. And we'd been stuck in that high camp for three days waiting for a windstorm to go away. And it was after that third day we were finally given, you know, relatively calm conditions. It was only 40 mile an hour winds. But as we took those last steps, I mean, this was a place that I had dreamt about and visualized and thought about for 18 years. Oh my.
And it was the culmination of a project to climb the 14 highest peaks in the world. And I say when I got to the top, it was that literal dream come true moment. You know, a place that I had wanted to be at for so long and I was finally there. And I was like, oh, my God, I'm finally here. How cool is this? You know, I had the patience. I had the persistence. I had the drive to do this. But even when you're up there, you think, you know. okay, now we party, we call home, we do the high fives. It's too soon. You still have to get down. And you have that kind of knot in your stomach knowing, okay, all that stuff I just got up, I now have to get down. All I want to do now is Google everything I can on Annapurna. And again, thank you for coming on. The book is called The Will to Climb by Ed Weisters. Am I saying the name correctly? Close enough. It's Ed. Visters. Visters. And it's the will to climb, obsession and commitment in the quest to climb Annapurna, one of the world's most deadliest peaks, and it's located in north-central Nepal. Fifty-eight people have died trying to make its summit. You're not one of them. You've actually made it to the top and lived to tell about it, and you can find out more about it in your book. Thank you for coming on with us, Ed. We'll see you.
Gosh darn, man. What's crazy about this guy, too, is he's done all 25 of his summits without the addition of oxygen. Like, a lot of these guys wear O2. He didn't do it. He just goes straight to the top. Because I know you can get, like, wacky, right? Yes. And all the bodies, most of the bodies, like at Everest, they don't haul them out. It's just too much work to haul them out, so the bodies are just there. Oh, my dude. Jay. I saw a few when I was climbing Everest. I saw a few up there. It will freak you out. You never climbed Everest. You're scared to death when you're up there. Can you imagine? No. It's 6 p.m. at night. There's a windstorm. The sun is starting to go down. You're making your way up a peak. And you trip over something and realize that what it was was a human hand. That's Ted from Akron. Yeah. The thing is. It's got a wrist watch on it. You usually know the people, too. That's what they talk about, like in the thin air. His buddies who froze, you know, sometimes you see them again. Oh, my gosh. Stop it. It's true. Listen, the one time that Bear Grylls almost, well, there's two times that he said that he almost died. One was when he was in the British Special Forces, and he broke his back. He jumped out of an airplane, and his parachute did not properly deploy.
And he broke his back. And the other time was when he was walking on a glacier and the ground underneath him gave way. A crevasse. Into a crevasse. And had he not had the safety harness that he had on with his friend holding the other end, he would have leapt into its milky depths only to die of starvation and broken bones. Those people that do that, different kind of rocks. Different kind of rocks. Yep. I wonder how that starts. I know it. I guess it, you know, I think it's those types of people that say most people can't, so I will. And then when I'm done, I'll be able to say I did. Like skydiving is not enough for them. Oh, no. No way. It's child's play. Child's play. There's a guy who just climbed. Everybody was sitting around. It was very viral. This guy who climbed the face in Yosemite, like one of the big climbs out there, unaided, just did it. Passed on?
He did Half Dome, and he did another one, too. It's like some other big phase. Wait a minute. Jay, you're saying he didn't have protective stuff? No ropes, no nothing. Oh, my God. They did this huge documentary. I'll send it to you. Dude. It blows your mind. This guy's just like, and he's a kid. When you say kid, you mean teenager? I don't know. He's like 20-something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's young. Wow. But he just shoots right up it, man. He's just flying through, and his fingers are just fat. How could he do that? Unbelievable. And if you misstep, that's it. Oh, you're done. There's nothing to catch you. Nothing. No harness. If that were my kid, I would tie them to the toilet. Yeah. And I wouldn't let them out of the house. Yeah. Free climbing just is insane. That's insane. You're just waiting to die. Yeah. I mean, those are people. By the way, have you ever seen the dude that wears the bat suit and flies in it? Yes. There's a bunch of them. Petrifying. Yeah. That guy's story is gnarly. Now, if you don't know what I'm talking about, he created a suit that he wears. That when he spreads his arms out, it looks like a bat. I want to do it. You're insane. And he jumps off of mountains and he goes 120 miles an hour. It's like he's flying. He's flying. That's amazing. Well, here's what gets me about it. First time he tried it and he's like, well, here's how I think I'm going to land. Yeah. Right. Here's how I think I'm going. Right. I don't know. I don't know if I'm going to land.
I don't know. I think I am, though. Well, I heard he tried it over a bed of marshmallows. So I think he was like, well, you know. I'll be all right. Yeah. Well, that dude's story is he grew up suicidal. And he got to a point where he was like, I don't care. He used to do thrill-seeking things because he just didn't care. That's how it started. And so he would do free-fall jumps with bungees off of things. And they would let him. Off of things like the Eiffel Tower. And he would do free fall. Just fly off. If you've seen the commercial for the new Mission Impossible movie, it looks really cool. They have Tom Cruise wearing these gloves and the gloves either turn blue or red. And he says blue is glue. Because what's red? Dead. Red is dead. Red is dead. Looks awesome. So when those gloves are blue, he's good. And it'll stick no matter what.
And I don't know where they shot it, but it looks like they shot it in Singapore where it's like one of those tallest buildings in the world. I think it's Dubai. Dubai. It's that big, tall place. Yeah. He's climbing that thing. Crazy. It's insane. No desire. I skydived one time. The harness yanked up on my testicles, and it hurt so bad. And all I wanted to do is get down to the bottom to call Rebecca because we were broken up at the time. And then this big, tall man was strapped to my back, screaming in my face, isn't this fun? Isn't this fun? Tell the camera how much fun you're having. And my face is doing the G-Force deal where my skin is all pushed back and flopping in my cheeks. See, I love climbing with a rope. You just don't like it when you could die. I don't like free climbing onto the couch. Me neither. I'm nervous. It makes me nervous. I might fall off and hurt myself. iPhone announcement yesterday. Well, here's the deal.
It's called the iPhone 4S. Why is it a big whoop? Because it's got a better camera. Okay. It's now got an 8 megapixel camera. So it takes really nice pictures. As opposed to what? A 5. Okay. So it takes real nice pictures. It also takes full HD, a video. So it used to take 720 high definition. Now it's full 1080 high definition video. They showed it on the website. It looked beautiful. And if you put it onto your television, it's going to look really nice. But the greatest things about it, I think, are going to be free for anybody that has an iPhone now. It's going to be free. A week from today, they're going to release their new operating system for the iPhone, which all of us can download for free. It's called iOS 5, and that's cool. Killer. That's cool. iOS 5 will let you turn your... iPhone to the side and take pictures. Am I correct on that, Chris? iOS 5 will allow you to do all that stuff, right? iOS 5 is great. It'll allow you to turn your phone to the side and take pictures using the volume button. It will allow you to crop the pictures and instantly press a button to enhance the photos and make them look better. Then it's got a button that you press that says tweet and they made this big multi-million dollar deal with Twitter.
To where now it's really easy to send pictures to Twitter. Start twit picking. Me too. Never done it. I don't do it a lot because it's kind of a pain. Not anymore. It'll be real easy. And the other big thing that they did was they added a voice recognition that I've never seen anything like before. In the video, they show a guy jogging. He's got the new operating system in and he's got an earphone in his right ear and it's got the little deal where you speak. And he's jogging and he says, make appointment tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. And this voice comes on and says, you've already got an appointment at 9 a.m. And he goes, all right, move it to 12. Moved appointment to 12 noon. I thought that was pretty cool. That's insane. He's driving in his car and he says, When I get home, remind me to get dad's present. And because of the GPS, when he gets home, he turns the car off and he looks at his phone and it says, get dad's present. No way. I think that's pretty cool. How about the keyboard? Did you see that too? Keyboard for the, the keyboard is really great. And the keyboard I think is a great deal for the iPad. Because right now the iPad is, when you turn it vertically, it.
You have to have very long thumbs. It's very awkward. It's not the easiest thing to type on. Well, with the new operating system, you put both thumbs on the keyboard and slide them apart. And now the keyboards, each side goes to the sides of the iPad. And now you just hold it and you type real easy. Well, there's a new one, too. And I'm not sure when this one's coming out. But you flick it down and it puts like a laser grid on the desk and you type on the desk. Get out of here. That has not. Come out. It's coming, though. It's very soon. That'd be cool. That'd be really cool. That's insane. Oh, that's cool. I love new stuff. Yeah, you do. I do. All right, let her in. Let EBW in. She's so... Oh, all the time with you. Really? Eskimo Blue Waters is wearing her cowboy hat or dark glasses in her Western wear. So you got some guy on that dated Anna Kornikova? Hmm? What were you talking about? This Anakonikova? It was a climber. He climbed, what's it called? Annapurna. Annapurna. Annapurna's a mountain. That's great. Never been done?
No, it has. Oh, cool. So you were listening in your car. No, I was out there in the lobby. In the lobby, listening on the radio, probably fuming that we hadn't let you in because we were interviewing a guy that's climbed one of the deadliest mountains in the world. Oh, great. So it's been done before. Cool. Well, yeah, but 58 people have died trying. Don't you think that's kind of... Well, maybe you don't have a death wish. Listen, Eskimo Blue Waters, EBW. Yes. Why are you here? I'm upset. Why? Because Mikey-thon's tomorrow. No one has told me what I'm supposed to be doing. Jay hasn't sent me any homework. You guys haven't reached out to me at all. And I'm like, hey, are we going to do this thing or what? Wait a minute. Are we going to do this thing? Hang on. Jay sends homework to the members of the show. Okay, that is me, L.O.B., Woods, and occasionally Chris, our phone screener. But you're not a member of the Mikey show. Honorary. Honorary member.
You believe that you're an honorary member. Yeah, well, I had my own deal last year. I got on stage with Mark Business. That was your boyfriend. I had a jazz, original jazz song. It was a ripoff. He was your boyfriend. And it was a ripoff. He's my best friend. He's your best friend, Mark Commerce. Mark Business. Mark Business. Commerce. Which is a ripoff of Lauren's boyfriend, Matt Commerce. I can't help who I meet. Am I ripping someone off if I meet a guy named Tree instead of Woods? Yes. Now a guy named Scott Tree? Is that too close to Steve Woods? Scott Tree. Scott Tree. You're not going to have any homework. What do you mean? She's not doing anything. No, not doing anything for me. Wait, I have a question. Yes. So back in July, our station experienced a lot of layoffs. Our station actually experienced a lot of layoffs. Our station. You don't work here, but FM 94.9 did experience. Lincoln Financial. Yes. Experienced a lot of layoffs. It's a sore spot, actually. Well, my question is, did I get laid off and nobody told me? No, because you don't work here. I did. No, you didn't. You guys used to have me doing bits. I tried out for NBC's Rubbin. What else have I done? It's a takeoff wipeout. Listen, Eskimo. I can't control the networks.
Eskimo goes around and tells people that she works for FM 94.9. And she's on the Mikey show. And that she's on the Mikey show. I say I'm a member of the Mikey show. I'm not always on because you guys are too Hollywood now. We like you. I can tell. I've been in here a lot. That's sarcasm, Mike. I know it is. I know it is. It's that we can't schedule you every day. We have you in plenty, I think. Woods, did you notice I gave him the hard K? Yes, Mike. I've been listening to the show. Yeah. Well, I listen to you guys too sometimes. Oh. Ouch, ouch, ouch. She listens in her Mustang. Yes. That she lives out of, she says. But you don't live out of it. You live with your dad in a mansion in La Jolla. Which is where you're from. He lives there, right? I did live there when I was a child. I have not lived there for quite some time. I'm out on my own. You're not out on your own. You live there. And it's a multi-million dollar mansion in La Jolla that overlooks the ocean. And so you position yourself as a hard-working homeless girl living out of her Mustang. Dad bought you that Mustang. It's one of the best looking Mustangs I've ever seen.
You're fine. You're not hard off. Well, let's agree to disagree then. Are those or are they not designer jeans? They look like they're, you know. Well, like they're all ripped up because I've had them for so many years. You ripped them up. No, I've had them for so many years that they've just worn through. Have they? Do you need me to auction off a gig? Do you need me to auction off voice lessons? Do you need anything from me? No. See where I stand. Ask and answer. Thank you, Eskimo. Thanks, Eskimo. Yeah, you're welcome. When we come back, we are going to play audio of Jay doing something very cruel. Really? Really cruel? He punked Chris. Sweet little face. Look at that face. Look at that face. Sweet little Chris. Look at that face! It's next.

You took my hand. You showed me how. You promised me you'd be around. Uh-huh. That's right. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. That's Woodsy. And Woodsy's wearing his pearl snap today. Looked real good. Very nice. On television. We were on the EW6 earlier. LOB is the blonde girl sitting to my right who is wearing a... shirt that has very loose netting on the sleeves. More of a tint. A tint? Like a pink tint, you mean? It doesn't have a pink tint to it. Like T-E-N-T. Like a tent? Like a circus tint. Like Mikey could wear that comfortably. Did you... The sleeves are like the sleeves that maybe they went... It looks like I tried to put them around my thighs and I stretched them out.
I know, but this is the style. It hangs like the sleeve of a wizard. Yes, it's a wizard sleeve. I could easily fit my head through there. What's the deal? I don't know. That's what all the shirts look like now. So I really don't know what's in style. I go to like 18 different stores and I'm like, I don't like anything, but this looks like what's in. So I just get it. Can you imagine? If we left it up to Woods or Jay to dress you? Oh, I can only imagine. I would like an opportunity. I think we should all be afforded an opportunity. Yeah. To dress me? To dress you. Physically dress me? Yes. Well, we wouldn't actually put the clothes on her. Unless you do need help. Would you ever consider that? No. Yeah, I would. Of course. Does Ella Bee just say stuff and then when it comes down to it? Sounds like me. Would you actually do it if it came down to it? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I don't think... Whatever we wanted? Well, within reason. No, no, no, no. Yeah, and I don't mean weird. I mean... Like our... Our LB interpretation. Our look. Like what we like. Yeah. I'm actually fascinated. I think we did a segment. I don't remember when it was.
last year, and it might have even been Mikey-thon. You guys talked about what was the sexiest thing that you wear on women. Women and men have a very different idea. If we had a budget, we would do that bit. That would be a wonderful bit to do. But maybe we ask Rick R. Jackson. Yeah. We just put it out there on the air, and then he's like, oh, great. I'm not opposed to it. Yeah, go on. You could keep the wardrobe. Yeah, that would be great. If you liked it, you could keep it. Yeah, I heard a lot of Dolce & Gabbana that's really in. I don't even know if they make clothes, but I'm just saying that. That's the only designer I could think of. The only thing you could think of was Dolce & Gabbana? Yeah. I'd do it. I know exactly what it looks like in my head. Exactly. Me too. I would like to see that, actually. Mine starts off with a thong. Oh boy, Jay. Bam. Can you think? Women are always, that's so weird when he says bam. Bam. Is that a new bit he's trying to get to catch on? You trying to get that to catch on? Bam. Oh, I'm sure it will now. Bam. Isn't that Emeril's bit? Yeah. Bam. Bam. I mean it different than Emeril's. It's way different. I ain't talking about chicken, all right? Oh, we're going to kick it up a notch. Would you like to hear what Jay did to Chris? I can't believe it.
This is so mean. I say prank all of us, but that poor little angel. He's an angel. He is not such an angel. Where did you record it? In his little studio. That little studio that he's in? He's shaking his head. It's all making a lot more sense to him now. Oh, you didn't know. So when it was over, he didn't say, April Fools! I left him hanging. Oh, my God. I knew he was doing something weird. He was in there yesterday after the show in that little room. Look at poor Chris. Look at poor Chris. All right, you ready for the audio? I have not heard this. I haven't either. Hey, Chris, you got a minute? Yeah. I'm already nervous. I'm using two. So I've had a few complaints about you phone screening. Really? I mean, they basically say that you're super short with them when they get on the phone. Which is so untrue. It could not be further from the truth. He is not short with people. I made sure he sat down, and I got right up on him when I was talking to him. Yeah, I saw you. I was like, he was sitting down, he was like, his eyes were looking up at me, all puppy dog-ish. I bet Jay loved him. Sadist. You're like, you know, you don't give him any respect.
Oh my gosh. You're kind of super negative with him. Oh my gosh. A lot of people say that you don't make sense when you're talking. Oh my gosh. His poor heart is probably pounding out of his chest. He's like, I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dying. I'm fired. Who said this? It's like our customer. It's the listener. No, I know for sure. And it's not just one. I've gotten emails. I've got a couple of texts. Sometimes when you go out to get breakfast, they call me. I guess they know you're not answering phones or something. So what I kind of wanted to do is I kind of wanted to run through. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And, like, here you do it. Like, do a test run like somebody's calling and see how it goes. So, you know, go ahead and put your headset on. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That is so cute. So, you know, bring, bring, phone rings. 90 for 9 Mikey Show. See, now that's what I'm talking about. I think that's what they're talking about. Oh, my God! That's just to get things going right away. Yeah, but how about, hey, it's the Mikey Show. How you doing? Or, hey, this is Chris. Can I, you know, do somebody to help you with? Oh, my God. Ring, ring. Not if we're not Mikey Show. Hey, how's it going? Oh, my God. See, it's a little flat, too. Like, you don't really say. Oh, my God. I'm coming out of my skin. I'm coming out of my skin. Hey, it's the Mikey Show.
I'm Chris. May I help you? Chris, can I help you? For the record, Chris right now has a look on his face of both relief that that wasn't real and like complete confusion of like, wow, you really did that. He got in his car and he called his dad. I just got chewed. I just got my ass chewed. I mean bad, Dad. I mean bad. Chris, it's going to be fine. It's going to be fine. Just do what he says. You know, try to improve. Did he have any points that he made? Bring it from the ground up. Like a wave. What? Swelling. You monster. It comes and builds and it just like crescendos. Oh. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about. Okay. There you go. Ready? Bring, bring. Mikey Show. It's Chris. How can I help you? That's a lot better. Better? Yeah, but if you said it with more of, like, every good program director I've ever had, he said, just say it with, like, a smile on your face. See, you're not smiling when you do it. It sounds like a smile. No, no, you actually smile. And it travels to the person. Oh, my God. Say it with a smile on your face. That poor guy. Hey, Micah Show, it's Chris. How can I help you? How can I help you?
Help me. One more time. Ring, ring. Hey, Mikey Show. It's Chris. How can I help you? Can you hear the smell? You know, you're getting better. You jerk. Can you hear the smile? Oh, my gosh. Say, hey, it's the Mikey Show. Thanks for calling. This is Chris. How may I help you? Oh, my gosh. Ring, ring. Hey, it's the Mikey Show. This is Chris. How can I help you? He's so diligent. That's pretty good. How humiliating, by the way. How humiliating is... Ring, ring. Ring, ring. Right in his face, too. Ring, ring, ring. Ring, ring, ring. Can I say, too, Jay, right now, must have listened to this a thousand times. Yes. Because he's in there mouthing all the words. Jay has a cramp in his cheeks from smiling right now. Yeah, it's pretty good. All right, well, do me a favor. Do me a favor.
Stay here and work on do it like do like five or six more mockups of it. And then I'm sorry. It's funny. I'm sorry. Sorry, Chris. I'm sorry, Chris. So you left and made him practice? Hey, it's Chris. Oh my God. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. This is Chris. How can I help you? Oh my God. Jay. Hey, it's a monkey show. This is Chris. How can I help you? Oh my God. Chris is so embarrassed right now. This is Chris. How can I help you? Oh my gosh. Turn it off. Please. Please. This is Mike. This is Chris. How can I help you? Hey, this is the Mikey show. This is Chris. How can I help you? Come in here. Come in here. Listen how good that sounds now. He's in there doing it like an angel. Like a little angel. If it was me in there and Jay left, it would have been that stupid SOB. Go F your mother. This is Chris. How freaked out were you?
I was pretty freaked out. Oh, my gosh. Jay walked in so serious, and I'm like, what's going on? I have no idea what he said. I saw them in there. I was like, what is he talking to? Jay's like Robert De Niro. Yeah. I'm not kidding. That's the greatest single performance I've ever heard. Told you. Dances with wolves? I don't think so. Forget it. Oh, my gosh. Were you driving home going, I hope I can get this right. I hope I can nail it. Up until now, I... Hello, Mikey Show. Hi. Hi, it's Chris. Oh, my gosh. So that monster made him stew 24 hours. I thought he was giving him like a pep talk. Like, look, this is me really serious. You're going to have to get a lot of sleep tomorrow night. Mikey Thon's coming up. Oh, my gosh. What a monster. A evil genius. Yeah. I love it and hate it all at the same time. Me too. But mostly I love it. Mostly I love it. I'm sorry, Chris, but it's gold. I can't believe the conviction. I can't believe he didn't go in 10 minutes and go, I'm just kidding. I know it. You left me with it. Yeah. When Chris goes back into his studio, Jay's going to walk in there and go, you did the right thing by not complaining. That's right. Oh my gosh. I was kidding, but.
I wasn't really kidding. I wasn't kidding. It was a way for me to joke about it, but... It was a passive-aggressive way to discipline you. Here's what we're going to do. You're going to buy cocaine from me. And you're going to sneak it across the border. And you ain't going to tell a soul. You ain't going to tell nobody. And if you do, bye-bye, Chris. Bye-bye. Bye-bye, Birdie. You see, Chris? You're what they call a mule. From now on. From now on. What I'm going to do is... You like this job, Chris? Yes, I love it. I love it. Good, because what you're going to do is you're going to swallow condoms of heroin. Heron. Heron. Heron. You're going to swallow little condoms of heroin. You're going to drive it over to Cate. All right? And then you're going to sell it to brownies like Mackey. And then you're going to give me... 98% of the proceeds, I'm going to let you keep two. You keep two dollars out of every hundred you make, all right? And that's for gas money to get over and cross the border. You're like a little marionette, and I'm a puppet man. That's right. And I will pull your effing strings. Hey, you're half Mexican, ain't you? Yep. It'll work. No problem. You speak any Mexican? Si, senor.
Shouldn't be a problem. Oh, Jay. Oh, my gosh. Amazing. This is one of the greatest. I can't believe he was so serious. Yeah. You ever do that to me, I'll kill you. I want to find a way to get Jay now. Oh, I know. You can't get him. I want to. You can't get him. Don't. Don't. If Chris got him, by the way, if Chris got him, this would be Jay. It's funny. It's funny. Yeah, he's really funny. You damn underling. You ain't supposed to be getting me, you understand? It ain't funny, Chris. I'm your boss. Yeah. He walks into his office after it's all done. You ever do that again? I'll kill you. I'll kill you. I am not kidding. You know how many bodies there are in the Nevada desert? Oh, wow. That's right. I'll cut them right off. I'll cut them right off. Nobody, no difference. Perry won't even care. Your girlfriend. Oh, wow. Leave Perry. Even when you're imitating Jay, it's not fair to do it. Don't do that. Please. My goodness. All right. Well, we got a few minutes here, and we can play Grabwood's Junk. Yeah. Now, it's not what you think. We do. We blindfold L.O.B.
And you call in, and you have to guess what's in Woods' pants. Should I take my pants off? No, you don't need to. Well, I will. You don't have to. I will if you want me to. We have a pair of Woods' pants, and they're sitting up here on the console. And L.O.B. is just going to reach into them, and she's going to be blindfolded. You call, and you get to ask her questions about what she's feeling. If you can correctly guess what's in Woods' pants, Then you will win. Yeah, you're the winner. So what do we have? Do you know, Jay, what we have as a prize? Yes, I do. Oh, wow. I'm glad you asked. I'm glad you asked. I have a four-pack of tickets to the Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. All right, if you want to win a four-pack of tickets to Scream Zone, call us at 570-1949. LLB is putting on the blindfold, which is actually a black T-shirt that's been torn up. It stinks.
And it's tied around her head. And we are putting... Oh, sorry. We are putting it... Yep. We're putting... Don't reach in there yet. Don't reach in his pants yet. I love you. All right. I'm sorry. I'm tempted. I know. I know you are. 570-1949. Now you get a guess and then we'll move on. If I'm feeling, you know, kind of spritzy, I might let you take a couple of guesses, but... Do they get a question and then a guess? Yeah, they get to ask you a question about what it's like because you're the describer. And they get to take a guess. Let's see. M1 Bud from San Marcos. Are you there? What's up, dude? There you go. All right. LLB, go ahead and reach into Woods Pants. Put your hand into Woods Pants. There you go. Now, you're feeling it. Can I say anything? Yeah, you can describe a little bit. It's very smooth and round. Okay. Bud, go ahead and ask a question and then take a guess. Oh, yeah. Much bigger than a quarter. What do you think it is? A can of dip. Incorrect. It is not a can of dip. M1 Melissa from San Diego, what do you want to know about this thing? Melissa, are you there? Nope. Melissa?
M1 Phil from San Diego. Is it smooth? It is very smooth, yes. You got another question? One. All right, go ahead and take a guess. It is not a wallet. Let's see. M1 Sarah from Carlsbad. Hi. Hi. Go ahead and you can ask a question about it. What we know so far is it's smooth and it's round. What is it? Is it in your hand? It is not bigger than my hand. Isn't it? Unfortunately. It is not. It is not. It is smaller than her hand, and it fits in her hand. It fits nicely. I can kind of toss it around. Oh, wow. M1 Eric, who is on the 805, do you have a question? Wait a minute. No, I got the wrong one. It's M1 Riff Raff from Lakeside. Do you have a question about it? What do you think? Is it heavy? No, it's not too heavy.
Bouncy ball? Is it a what? Bouncy ball? It is not a bouncy ball. Is that a bouncy ball? No. No, it's not a bouncy ball. All right. It's not a bouncy ball. That is not how I would describe it. M1, Rebecca from San Diego. Hi. Hi. Slimy. No, not slimy at all. Just nice and smooth. Is it a ping pong ball? It is not a ping pong ball. Sorry. M1D from San Diego. How you doing? Good. Is it edible? No, it's not edible. Is it a racquetball? You're getting... See, people are close. Gosh darn, they're close. There's, you know, kind of all around what it might be. Let's go to M1 Snuffs from Point Loma. Is it a golf ball? It is not.
A golf ball. So close. You might want to ask questions about the actual object itself. Like, does it have any other feeling to it? I don't know. M1, Eric on the 805. It is not. It is sphere. I was going to guess chapstick. It is not. It is not chapstick. Sorry about that. M1, Surf Daddy from La Jolla. Question, and then you get to take a guess. Is it solid? Like hard kind of. Oh, yeah. It's nice and solid and hard. It is. Heavy? It's not heavy. I mean, I can lift it very easily with one hand. Right. Billiard ball. Oh, that's so close. So close. So close. It's not it. It's about that size. It's about the size of a billiard ball.
M1. Definitely can't fit this in my mouth. Oh, wow. M1 Maina from Escondido. Do you have a question and a guess? Oh, my gosh. Is it squeezable? I can squeeze it. It doesn't give much give, no. Oh. It's not a stress ball? It is not a stress ball. It is not a stress ball. I mean, I can squeeze pretty much anything, but yeah. But that's not. That's not what this is. Not at all. M1, Diana from San Diego. Hi. What other kind of textures do you feel on it? Good question. There's some sort of ridge going along the whole thing. A ridge? Yeah, it's like a raised stitching. Raised stitching. An itching? Stitching. Stitching like a baseball. That's it! You got it. Now you have. You have now. It, in fact, was a baseball. It's Woods' pants. What else is going to be in there? There you go. Hang on the line. Well done. Well, well done. I'm surprised you can't put that in your mouth. At the price. All right. Thank you. I stole it from that on FM 94.9. Always enjoyed that song. Didn't you? Isn't that exactly what you intended? Stab me in the heart. Didn't you? I play that game in my car. I'll say, I'll talk to the songs and I'll answer them. Yeah, didn't you? Did you? Is that all you want? Is that all you want?
By the only thing you wanted was to see her dance in the Purple Rain, do you mean that when you met that girl after your gig and you rented a penthouse, well, sorry, you had your manager arrange a penthouse for you to take her to, have intercourse with. To make sex to her. To make sex to her. Is that what you mean by I never meant to hurt you? Yeah. When you said you only want to see her dancing in the Purple Rain, is that code for... I only want to see you make sex to me. Yeah. That's it. And then I want you to go home. No way to leave and never call me. Because Prince, that doesn't. Otherwise, what other sick fetish? Right. Where's this purple? That's all you want to see someone do? Purple rain? Where do you get this purple rain anyway? You know what? Tell you the truth. I don't want to know what your, finger quotes, purple rain is. I mean, it's just disgusting. It's disgusting. Why is this song so good? It is. It's so good. I just love Prince. Yeah. I know it. I was jamming out to Raspberry Beret yesterday. Guy's a talented SOB, man. And it takes a very particularly bold and courageous man to wear purple, like... Onesie? Yes, a purple onesie with, like, white...
Doily, you know, coming off of the sleeve, you know, what I'm talking about? Velvet. Metting. Velvet. Doilies. Yeah, doilies hanging off. Dude, there is a skit. There's a skit, now that you mentioned it. It's on Chappelle's show. Oh, my God. Charlie Murphy. It is a true story. It's Charlie Murphy's true story. They're all out at this club. They meet Prince. He's like, you know how I tell you? He's like, would you like to come back to my home? Oh, it's hilarious. So they go back to Prince's house, him and all his gang of boys. Prince's like. Let's play some basketball. They start hooping. Apparently, Prince is like Allen Iverson. He's a baller. Are you serious? He's a baller. So Charlie Murphy and all his boys are laughing at them because they're all in their weird gear. And they start balling. And Charlie Murphy's like, yo, man, they kicked the crap out of us, man. He goes, and then Prince made everybody pancakes. How weird is that? Oh, my God. But at the point where you're eating those pancakes, you're like, I just played basketball with Prince, and now he just made me... And got killed. And got killed. And they're delicious. And they're great. Like, I want to ask for the recipe. I wonder that guy pulled in a lot, too. Dude, and isn't he like 5-0? Yes. And he...
Charlie Murphy's like, no, you don't understand. Dude can shoot, pass, dribble, dunk, like everything. And it shows him like it's Chappelle dressed as Prince doing crossovers. No way. He's just like owning him. Yeah. Because that's a true story. He's like, hey, nothing about that. That's not true. His stories are the best. That guy's a goldmine. Y'all want to come back to my house? Would you guys like to play some basketball? That's so crazy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, it's okay. Sure. Yeah, sure. We'll kick your butt. Yeah, that's what they thought. They were laughing at me. With your doilies and your five foot nothing. I will send it to you later. You'll die. It's so good. I have never seen the film Purple Rain. I've seen parts. Never seen it. Is that with Oprah? It's Apollonia. Or Oprah. Color Purple. That was Color Purple. That was Color Purple. In that Whoopi Goldberg, it's the slave era, and she and Oprah. And Prince is there on a motorcycle. Isn't Prince there on a motorcycle? And he comes up, he makes love to him playing drums. And then Oprah turns into a man, right? Yeah, right? That's the deal? That's it. 5701949 is the number. Color Purple, I've seen that. Genius. Figures. That's a Steven Spielberg.
Oh, my. Calibri. You have it on repeat. I love the Calibri. You have it looped. You walk in the house, it's just playing. All right, so Mikey-thon's tomorrow. By this point, we'll be three hours in. And we'll only have 25 more hours to go. Holy mackerel. I figured it out. Okay, at close to 7 p.m., we won't be halfway through. That's what always gets me. You can't think of it that way. That's what gets me. If you run a marathon, you can't think one down, 25 to go. You make it to the next mile. Is that how they do it? Yeah, you can't think of it that way. Because I said it about last year when we broadcasted for 16 hours straight. I was like, holy crap, 16 hours. That's pretty cool. And then I go, oh, we've got 12 hours. We've got four full shows left. Or three full shows. I just remember 3 a.m. And it made me cry. Yeah, between 1 o'clock and 4 o'clock in the morning is the toughest time for me. The best time is between 9.59 and 10 a.m. on Friday. Oh, yeah. Because you are home free. You're home free. You just did it. Once you get to about 8, you're kind of just cruising. By the way, Sonny from POD just stopped by and dropped off a big old thing of t-shirts. How cool is that guy? So cool. Oh, man, dude. Those guys are so legit, man.
Just so legit in what they do. They are not talkers. They're walkers. Those guys do the deal. And I want to say thank you to Sonny from POD and to Trey and to all the guys in POD. And thank you so much to Carvin's in San Diego. You can find them online at carvin.com. C-A-R-V-I-N dot com. They have a factory showroom. in Carmel Mountain. And if you want to call them, 858-487-8700. And that guitar is so cool. That's rad. And you can see on the side of it is like masking tape. And it looks like either Sonny or their manager wrote on their POD slash Mikey show. So rad. We'll keep that on there. It's just like it was delivered. We'll keep it like it was delivered. So cool. And it's an acoustic guitar. We looked at it. It's beautiful. This beautiful, beautiful wood. And every guy in the band signed it. And that will go up for auction along with a lot of other stuff to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital tomorrow. I made a plea with you earlier. Take 91X off your dial. Take them off your dial. Get them off your dial completely. This morning I found out that tomorrow they're trying to counter-program the Mikey-thon, which I think is gross.
And the reason that I think it's gross is because of my son, Jake. My son, Jake, has been helped so much by Rady's, what they do. And for a guy, the program director over there is Garrett Capone. And for a guy to do something that is an alternative to raising money for Rady Children's Hospital and the Autism Discovery Institute, to me there are boundaries. Guys have a guy code with a lot of different things. This is a human code. This doesn't have anything to do with a guy code. It's a human code. If you're raising money for breast cancer, you're raising money for autism, or you're raising money for anything to do with children, back up. Just back up, bro.
That's gross. Apparently, they did a month-long thing for prostate cancer last month. Can you imagine if we did something to counter that, what that would make us? Or if our radio station did something to counter that? Dude. What would that make us? Gross. I wouldn't want to be here. No, I wouldn't either. And my dad's got prostate cancer. There you go. And my dad currently has prostate cancer. And I support that cause. And it should be supported. And I'll say again what I said earlier this morning. I want people to take the social media and I want them to take 91X off of your radio presets. And every time you see their logo, the black and yellow logo, understand that that is now an icon for disgusting. Whenever you see the numbers 91 and X next to it, I want you to understand. That what they stand for is an alternative to a charity, which is by definition ghoulish. And if they're sitting there and they're thinking, oh, we got under his skin, didn't we? Yeah, you did. Now, if the way that you wanted to get under my skin is to provide an alternative for listeners while we're doing a charity, that's horrific. It's disgusting. It's kids. It's kids.
It makes you a goon. It makes you a bully. It makes you a goon. It makes you the type of person that I don't want my kid to be exposed to. It doesn't make you an underdog. It makes you the exact opposite of an underdog. What you are is you're the buffed beefcake dickhead at school who likes to push kids. Push kids, apparently, with special needs. I know what we'll do. We don't want people to listen to Mikey-thon. So what we'll do is we'll provide an alternative so that people that don't want to support it can come and listen to us. Because Incubus is more important. Incubus is more important for us, apparently. That's the thinking. Maybe his thinking is, well, it's just business. No, it isn't. It isn't just business. It goes far beyond the reaches of business, man. It's my freaking kid. And if you had a kid with autism, you would feel the same way. It isn't about radio. It's about making it. You know what, douche? Those stupid records that you play, those stupid records that you play are never going to have an eternal impact. They're not going to teach one kid with autism how to be able to go out into the world.
They're not going to do that. So just shut up, man. Just shut up. And Radies can. ADI can. Absolutely. And have. I've seen it, dude. I've seen it with your son. I post a picture of Jake online, and you can see it on our Facebook page. But that's the face that I see. I see the face of my son when I hear that that's what 91X did. And I want people to take the social media to their websites. I want you to, and don't use foul language or anything like that, but I want you to spread the word virally through Twitter and virally through Facebook what they're doing. And don't subscribe to it. Wipe them off the map by not listening. Taking them off of your preset. Every time you hear the name 91X, it should turn your stomach. Because I'm not kidding you. That used to be a staple in this town of something that was cool. It's the opposite of cool now. It's not cool. It's disgusting. That is for sure. I wanted to say thank you to our big sponsor, too, that helps keep Mike Thon commercial-free, Tulip. They're hooking us up this year.
That's right. Hell yeah. Thank you. They're having a big tour this Saturday, October 8th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and you can go check out. They've got all their cool tools out there, and they're priced below normal cost. Plus, they're going to be giving away free tri-tip and barbecue chicken. You're going to be there, Jay. You're a cool tool. I'm not. And there's free tri-tip there. I'm just a big. Oh, wow. Are you? Oh, wow. Oh, wow. What is that? There you go. We should also talk about the cool Mikeython t-shirts. Jebediah is donating the T-shirts, and when you make a $50 donation, which will be set up on the Mikey Show website, you get one of these cool shirts sent to you. They're awesome. They are. They're killer. We put the image up, yeah. Where is it? It's probably somewhere. Is it in Facebook? Yeah, it's in Facebook. Okay, and we'll get one up on MikeyShow.com so that you can see that. All right, if you want to call in on this, we would love for you to call in on this, this email. Mikey.
Hope you're doing well, brother. Love your show. Have a doozy for you, man. A lot of friends listen, so please, please don't use my real name. I won't. I found some pictures in a shoebox of my wife doing some really sexy pictures in lingerie. They look like they were professionally done. I certainly never saw them, and they look to be about five years old or so. We've been married nine years. Should I confront her about these? I'm sure you're going to say yes, but I need the affirmation. What? could these be for? And then he puts M1 in parentheses Brett. So his name's not Brett. They are five years old. They've been married for nine years. Here's the thing. I don't know that you can assume that those pictures were not meant for anybody but her. Because it could very well be that she took those pictures because she wanted to feel sexy. Or maybe she was going to give them to him and she thought that they were hideous. Yeah. She thought you looked fat or something. Chicks ever think they look fat? Yeah, I mean, and it's, you know, if you find them and they're still there, she didn't give them to anybody else. Yeah. Well, they could be the doubles. Oh, that'll be. It takes the mind of a creep to think of something like that. They could be. They could be. I guess they could be. And if you, listen, fast forward the tape. How's that conversation going to go down? Does that end good? Oh, man. You call her out on that? Yeah. Because if she did not give them to you because she felt like she didn't look good.
You're a jerk. What are you sniffing around for? Really? It's a box in your house. You should be able to look at a box in your house. You should be able to go to it. You should be able to say to her, hey, honey, I don't remember these. These are great. And she'll go, oh. And then she'll tell you. You can't just hide from it. What if she puts her head down in shame and says, yeah, I didn't tell anybody I didn't tell you about them because I was embarrassed. I hope that's the answer. Well, yeah, but then she's embarrassed you've hurt her feelings. I say you have to ask. I got it. You have to ask. You take the pictures, you spread them all out over the bed, and then you put a dagger in the middle of the bed, and you just leave, and then you come back, and you're like, what's up, dude? Oh, I have an idea. You take the box, and as much as you can, you strewn them around the living room. No, this is better. Okay, you make a treasure map, right? And you put it at the front door. And then you give all these clues. And at the end, the pictures are right there in a chest. In a treasure chest. For her to open. With gold coins. Yes. You tack them to your five-year-old's door. Yes. And go, what's this? Look at mommy. Look at mommy. Oh, my gosh. You invite her parents over and have an intervention about these photos. Yeah. If it were me, I'd leave well enough alone. Oh, my gosh. Well, they're not meant for me. I never could.
Curiosity would kill me. No way. It would eat her insides. It would eat your insides. I live in the truth. Listen. I got to know. But L.O.B., if somebody was married to you and you didn't give them, I think that it would hurt your feelings if you were like, I didn't, those weren't meant for, give me those. I would preface it with these are amazing. How come I haven't seen these? That might make her feel good. Yeah, that's true. These are amazing. How come I never got to see these? And then you've got to look her dead in the eye and see what the natural reaction is. If she looks at you back and goes, Oh! Who has these? Guilty. Where are the doubles? Guilty. On the mirror in lipstick, write slut. And then strew the pictures on the vanity. You monster. No, just make copies of them. Welcome to the wonderful world of AIDS. Put them all over your neighborhood. But have you seen this slut? Oh my gosh! Have you seen this slut? Oh my gosh. Put it all over your kid's school. She's like, babe, I just took those for you. Happy Valentine's Day. He's looking at these pictures. He said they're professionally done. He's like, they look to be five years old. Maybe they're brand new and they're just really good at what they do. They made her look younger. They made her look really good. He posts them in the neighborhood. Have you seen this slut? She's like...
That was for your birthday. Hey, Tim, look what I found. A box of my poor wife. Are you kidding? Poor guy. Poor woman. I don't... Leave it alone. Just ask her. Ask her. You have to ask. You gotta ask. Preface it with, say it, that they look great. Rebecca went to Boudoir Divas for me? Yeah, she did. Okay, gosh. Creepy, Jay. Creepy. Just saying. I know you're just saying. But if I found those, if I found them, I would think, she's going to give these to me. Now, if a year goes by and nothing's, then maybe, hey, babe, all right. Gosh, she makes it so weird. You are such a weird, all right. You should return the favor and do some boudoir diva pictures for her. That almost made me throw up.
That just almost gave me thrills. Like the show, 570-1949. Or text them, 949Mikey at gmail.com. More coming up on FM 94.9. For those of you that have never seen me, I'm a short, chunky guy. Woods. I just try not to be. A dirty, creepy pig in my head. Lauren. Do you have coconut water? And Jay. I'm wearing cargo shorts right now. On FM 94.9. Responding comes in. How are you doing tonight? I'm on a garden. You have a painkiller or something? This is killing me. So she goes, how would you describe your pain? It's killing me. I don't know if you remember that. What, are we playing that pyramid game? Excruciating. Horrific. Would rather have shards of glass in my eyes. How do I convey this to you? So she asks, how would you rate your pain? Four stars. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. It's Brian Regan. Good morning, America, yesterday.
President Obama talking about 2012. Are you the underdog now? Absolutely. Because, you know, given the economy, there's no doubt that, you know, whatever happens on your watch, you've got... You embrace that pretty quickly. You know, I don't mind. I'm used to being an underdog. And I think that... Well, what am I supposed to say? No, I'm the favorite. No, I think most people are really stoked. At the end of the day, though, what people are going to say is, who's got a vision for the future that can actually help ordinary families recapture that American dream? I've had about four years of that vision. Vision got me real good. Well, the problem is that just the GOP is just a turd. Oh, it looks so bad. Yeah, it does. There's more on him talking about Steve Jobs. And for those of you who wanted to know where the president goes online, which websites do you serve? I can't tell you. Not going there. Pornbrothers.com. You know, I'm pretty eclectic. You have an iPad? It's not real. Steve Jobs actually gave it to me a little bit early. That's pretty cool. Yeah, it was cool.
Wow. Hollywood. You think you're important? Get it. President of the world? We get it. There's a package from Apple. That's right. And Steve actually delivered it in an Apple. SJ brought over a package. You know, typically I read on the web what I read in hard copy. I mean, there are some exceptions. There are some blogs and some websites that are interesting that you don't have. Do you feel compelled to make a copy? How do people find blogs? I mean, our blog is on our website, but I hear that term. Well, like deadspin.com, it's a blog. That's a blog? That's a blog, yeah. I thought that was like a website. It is, but it's also a blog. It is also a blog, yeah. I did not know. Okay, does that mean that the Huffington Post is a blog? They have blogging sections of the Huffington Post. I don't get it. I don't get it. I think it's more opinion. Yes. The blogs? Anything that is an opinion website is a blog. No. Is Perez Helton a blog? Yes. Yeah. It is. Because it's all of his commentary. It's commentary. Oh my gosh. Commentary would be a good way to describe a blog. I am just figuring it out. Or if you're Jay, it would be a good way to describe that you went surfing or skating. Yes. That's what a blog would be used for if you're Jay Isbell. Yeah.
Opposed to just sitting on the couch watching sports. Right. We all write a blog every day. Yeah. And I'm being really genuine with you. I'm being as genuine and authentic as I can tell you because I don't want to say it. And then you go. But every time I write that thing, I think to myself, why would anybody want to read this? Me too. And does anybody read it? Does anybody read it and why? Yes. Does anybody? And why? Because for me, it seems like it would be work for them. I'm inconveniencing them. What do you call it when you ask to go stay at somebody's house? You're imposing. Imposing. It's an imposition. I'm imposing my blog. I know they go to it, but I still feel like it's just... I'm just... Yeah, mine's usually just a video of a song that I'm currently listening to. And some days I'll get deep on there if I feel like writing, but most days I don't really want to get too deep. Do you know what my worst fear is? I don't know if you feel this way, but my worst fear is that somebody reads and goes, Oh, yeah, I'm sure they do. I'm sure they read mine all the time and go, really? LLB's good. She's a good blogger. She's a good writer. She's a good writer. Yeah, you're a good blogger. Mine is, I'm lazy.
I'm lazy. I read about like duck tails. I'm like, really? Is anyone? Well, people are interested in mine because I actually talk about people that move. Right, I do. That actually move their body. Stuff that like normal, like fit people. I had somebody write me asking me if the lemon juice and chewing the peppercorns worked. For? I was going to go to the doctor and get antibiotics for my antibiotics. Yeah, that's it. Yeah. And I was going to get it because I feel like I have a sinus infection. It's not like your brother's sister's name is Biotics. Antibiotics. And you call her, oh, it's antibiotics. She's coming over today. Antibiotics. And instead, Kim talked me into chewing three peppercorns and drinking hot water or warm water and then taking lemon juice and pouring it up into my nose through my neti pot. Oh, my God. Are you kidding me? And I was pretty sure she was trying to kill me. Yes. And comes out, she was right. It worked. It worked, bro? Cleaned me right out. Just patting yourself on the back for a good block? No, no, patting her. Patting her on the back. I was surprised when somebody wrote me. I was just like, wow, somebody actually reads this thing. But wait a second, Jay. How come not just the neti pot? Well, I did the neti pot starting off, and I was like, okay, I'm done. Because I felt all weebly wobbly. Yeah. And just nothing was coming out. And I would have been sick for weeks. Okay. This is an area that I want to talk to people about. The neti pot.
If you have gunk in your nasal cavities, I've had surgery for it, okay? Because I would get infections all the time. Part of it, I probably picked my nose too much, especially while driving. I was that guy. I'm still that guy. I'll pick my nose. I don't anymore. I try not to pick my nose anymore. Well, I try not to because I don't want to. You don't get infections, though. I get knuckle deep up there. I know you do. But do you get infections? Yeah, sometimes. But not bad. Probably what? Not bad. I got a netty pot. I just bought one. But let me see. Let me talk to you about netties. Okay. I'm a bit of a netty guy. Connoisseur. Connoisseur. Now, you've got a couple of choices. You have the little teapot. If you don't know what a netty pot is, what it is, it looks like a little teapot. And you pour a little packet full of saline. It looks like salt. And then you put distilled water in it. Oh, I should use tap water. You should not use tap water. Are you kidding? I am not kidding. Don't use tap water. How do you get warm distilled water? Well, first of all, it doesn't need to be warm. It doesn't need to be warm. In fact, it's more important. And when you use the distilled water, you will notice the biggest difference. Does it burn when you use it? No. Okay, because a lot of times if you'll use tap water, it's pretty uncomfortable.
But if you have gunk, okay, sinus gunk, and you want to clear out your sinus gunk, neti pot is actually really good. But they sell two kinds. And I would like to be a proponent of the second kind because I used to use the pot. And you put this little teapot in a nostril. Right. And you pour it into your nose and you tilt your head to the side and the water pours out of the other nostril, thus cleaning out your sinus cavities. It feels great. Never done it. Oh, you got to do it. Well. L.O.B., if you do it, don't use the pot. My opinion, don't use the pot, okay? Use the sinus rinse. That's what Matt uses. It's a bottle. Same concept. Pour the little packet in. Fill it up to the line with the distilled water. Put the black rubber cap on it. Shake it up. And then you just, you don't have to lean your head. No lean. No lean. You just shove it up into your nose and you squeeze lightly on the bottle. And when you squeeze lightly on the bottle, the water goes up. Now, don't worry. It's only going to one place and that's your sinuses and it's draining out the other side. It's not going to go into weird places. But don't squeeze that thing too hard. And that goes with the neti pot too. Nice and easy with the neti pot. Or when you're squeezing that bottle, nice and easy. And the most satisfying feeling in the world. And I mean satisfying.
is when you see a big glop of green pour out into the sink. When that happens, and then you do the other nostril, you feel a sense of cleanliness and a sense of, and I mean instant. Like you go, oh my gosh. I can breathe. Everything's perfect in the world. It's gone. It's gone. Throw a little lemon juice in there and see how you feel. Why the lemon juice? Why? Because it kills the infection, apparently. Well, what's with the peppercorns? Peppercorn, you chew them. I don't know what it does, but maybe it does some. I don't know. But, man, I tell you, I immediately felt better. Man, shocking. Next day. Well, same thing for me, but I just used the squeezer. I just got turned on to the netty. I used it before my gig when I was sick, and I did all right. It's great. So I'm done on it. What actress says, yes, I hit my children with a horse whip? Oh. That'll tell you next. He changed his Facebook profile pic to a picture of my son, Jakey. And I did the same. And I used the picture that Woods used. And I would love for people to do that. I will do that. Oh, man. That's so cool. And tomorrow is Mikey-thon. Now, it's probably going to rain today.
And it's probably going to rain throughout the day and then it'll probably stop raining tonight. A little sprinkling tomorrow. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon we're good to go. By tomorrow night we should definitely be good to go. If you don't know already, Mikey Thon is tomorrow. 28 straight hours of non-stop broadcasting to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital and for the Autism Discovery Institute. which is a really, really incredible, incredible service that Rady has. And when Jake was going to it, it kind of looked like a mobile home. And they've grown because of the donations that people have made. They have made that into a place that is so welcoming to kids. And in addition to that, in addition to just that stuff, they have just... saved so many lives and just done so many wonderful things for little kids. Um, and, uh, because of my son, because of Jake, uh, you know, we, we've made Mikey thought about raising money and awareness for autism. We're very close to having that video completely done. We're going to put the video up for people to see, um, and for people to be able to, uh,
Check that out and learn a lot about autism by the video. But tomorrow is just such a cool day. It's fun. It's fun, man. It's really fun. Yeah, we've got so much planned. We've got some. Goofy stuff going down. Gosh darn. And Hillary, and I know I've said this, but thank you. Thank you to all the other DJs that take their, you know, that's your time, your shift. And you guys give that up, and you let us do our thing for this, and I appreciate it. Of course. I mean, it's fun to listen to, but it's also such an important and good cause. I mean, autism is totally on the rise. And I think it's huge. And it's fun. I'm going to still come to work and hang out. It's cool. Tons of food in here. Oh, yeah, I'm in. Strap on the back. Oh, it's going to be great. It was, you know, like I said, I remember doing the, you know, it used to be called the 28-hour show. And we did it for years. Took on a new meaning when Jake was diagnosed with autism.
And I remember that for a while I thought, why don't you do a charity, do a charity, tying in a charity to it would be cool. And I had lost somebody that meant a lot to me, a leukemia years before. And I had kind of that had kind of been a thing that I was interested in. And then when Jake was diagnosed with autism, it was as if it was as if God said, this is what I want for you to do. And I want you to make an impact. And I want you to make a lasting impact. And I want you to make an eternal impact. So. At that point, we started to raise the money. So far, we've raised almost $100,000 for Rady and their Autism Discovery Institute. And this year, last year we raised $25,000. I hope this year we just shatter those numbers. And I think we can. Mostly because M1 Nation is very giving. Extraordinarily giving. But also... The things that we have that we're auctioning off are really cool. The stuff from the Padres, the stuff from Switchfoot, the stuff from POD. Today, we'll have something from Maroon 5. We're having something sent to us from another band, too. It's just been amazing. All we had to do was ask. We told people what was going on. At one point, I'll tell you this story.
And it didn't work out because of timing. Do you know at one point I was trying to get the Foo Fighters to play at the belly up? Wow. And it may have happened. It may have happened. But it was mostly a lot to do with timing. But, you know, this thing has just come together in such a cool way. And I can't wait until tomorrow. And I also can't wait until 10 o'clock on Friday when we get to go home and go to sleep. That will be really great, too. At this time tomorrow, we'll be in the final, or no, excuse me, two days from today, we'll be in the final stretches, and we will be loopy and punchy as all get up. Oh, yeah. If you've never heard us on the second day, you've got to tune in for that. We are loopy. Just teary. Teary, emotional, but like... So, all right. Hillary, what do you got coming up? Well, Big Show is in town tomorrow night, Blink-182 at Cricket Wireless. So there's a band opening for them that put on a really good live show, Matt and Kim. And I'm going to play new music from both of them. A new Blink song, a new Matt and Kim song, some Oasis, some Metrics, some Johnny Cash. I grabbed all kinds of good stuff this morning. Awesome.
There you go. All right. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. We'll see you tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock to kick off 28 straight hours of broadcasting. Mikey-thon 2011 will be here tomorrow. And we'll see you at 6. Mikey shows up. Yeah.
