As beautiful as it's going to be in San Diego today, believe it or not, it's going to be even more beautiful tomorrow. It's hard to believe. I mean, it's going to be gorgeous today. And tomorrow, it's going to be even sunnier and warmer. It was like Birmingham driving to work today. Birmingham, England. I know. So foggy. It was foggy on the coast, and it was a little chilly. But they say that it's in warm-up. And by they, I mean, I don't know, they.com or whatever. But it's supposed to be nice, you know? It's supposed to be really nice. Or is this in July? I know it. June. It waits until October. So much to talk about. And I cannot wait until 7.30. Woodsy went out, talked to some folks. We got that for you. We'll tell you about that. Huge stories here in San Diego. Monday Night Football to talk about and why that was such a controversy. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 41. Woods is our sports guy. Man on the street. He is 36. He is a big Yankee fan and currently is wearing a Friars cut. Which is a bald spot right on the top of his head. Keeping it, actually. Not shaving my head. Yes, he's going to keep it.
He's going to keep it. On the vice of Jay, who said that if you keep it, it'll grow in, and then you just kind of trim it around the side to keep it. What was the reasoning? Because he can wear a hat. He's got a television interview coming up, and if he's shaved on the side and he's wearing a hat, he's going to look kind of strange. But if he just leaves a hat on, you can't tell the difference. Yeah, it's true. It's true. It's brilliant. True. I forgot that you had it until you took your hat off. Oh, I did, too, until this morning I woke up. groggily walked over to the mirror and splashed some water on my face. I looked up and I went, oh, God. Oh, wow. Oh, no. Oh, yeah. That's a moment when you look at that thing and your wife just goes, you know, it's a creepy thing. She almost peed her pants. I'm laughing. When I took it off, I go, you ready? And I took it off and showed it to her and she almost died laughing. No way, Jose. It's a heck of a haircut. It really is the worst. Lauren O'Brien is also known as L.O.B. Lauren O'Brien. I want to squeeze him. And she's the blonde that is sitting to my right that Jay just played the inappropriate sound effect for. And we didn't know that he felt that way, really. I'm talking about making lines. All right. And then Jay is our producer. He's 48 and playing sound effects for himself. And he's the guy. He's that guy over there.
And then our phone screeners, Chris, it's cross. It's cross. It's cross. Great prize today for word of the day, which is rectangle. Okay, so I'll say that. Could say it at their commercial. Could say it at any time. But I will say the word rectangle between now and 10 when I do Foo Fighter tickets. Oh, wow. You get a pair of Foo Fighter tickets if you're calling nine. Now. Got to get a couple of things out of the way. One thing is the biggest news that was going on yesterday was the bizarre suicide that happened where people are doing Occupy San Diego. The two are unrelated, as far as people know. It was a guy that went to the eighth story of a parking structure and leapt off. And he was 42 years old. He was carrying some flyers in his pocket. Not immediately known whether they were political. Or otherwise, although I saw in the news yesterday that they were they were kind of filming one of these flyers and it said something really bizarre, like spaceships and stuff like that, you know, that had to do with weird stuff. But anyway, a spokesman for the San Diego PD said, while the events leading to the tragedy remain under investigation, we're saddened by the loss. And so, you know, just a freak thing that occurred yesterday.
And there is a lot of people down there for Occupy San Diego. You know, it's this Wall Street thing. It started in Manhattan on Wall Street, and it's now going to different cities. You know me. I believe a large majority of the people that are there know that they are there to protest. large business and banks and stuff like that. But I believe that there is another large contingent of people that are there, and they truly don't know why. If you ask them, they would say, Wall Street, you know, about that and stuff, about solidarity and Wall Street, and just we're against it. But they don't, I don't believe, really know what, you know, that really entails. Now, at 7.30, We will play for you Woods' interviews down at City Hall yesterday at Occupy San Diego. He just talked to some people. Woods said that it did smell like fresh marijuana. That's a quote. I've been to Coachella twice. And Coachella didn't smell as much like marijuana as Occupy San Diego. Yes. Where exactly was this? City Hall. Okay.
Very fresh. Very robust group of people. Never seen anything like it. Never. So we'll play you that audio back at 7.30. It's delightful. It's delightful. You'll get a kick out of it. I sure did. Now, as you know, Hank Williams Jr. got into a lot of trouble because he went on Fox and Friends. He was supposed to be on Fox and Friends to talk about the fact that His father, Hank Williams Sr., had an album that was some sort of a retro album that was going to be released on CD. And they started talking about politics. He got carried away. He compared some of our government to Hitler. And, of course, that upset the folks over at ESPN. Because he does the, are you ready for some football?
And so instead of running the usual Hank Williams Open that they do, this is what people saw last night. Barry Sanders. Detroit's soul isn't in the streets of the city. It's in the hearts of the people. I know. I played here for 10 years. Right now for the Lions, life is good. But like this town, they won't rest. They'll work. They'll sweat. They'll fight. Detroit doesn't pat itself on the back. It gets the job done. Especially tonight on Monday Night Football. We thank Barry Sanders. How cool is that? Monday Night Football at Ford Field in downtown Detroit. We thank Barry Sanders for helping us get something together quickly. And on short notice. Since we have...
Essentially fired Hank Williams Jr. Now, as you know, I believe firmly that a song can maybe sound good. I might like the sound of a singer, but that doesn't mean that I necessarily agree with what they're singing. Right. You know, Lady Gaga. I may like the sound of Poker Face, but I may not agree with what she's saying. The message. The message, necessarily. The same could be true for Hank Williams Jr. I kind of dig Hank Williams Jr. songs. You know, I'm not talking about are you ready for some football. I'm talking about his old school. Family tradition, all my rowdy friends. All my rowdy friends, all that whiskey drinking stuff, you know. Well, Hank decided that because of what happened to him on Fox and Friends, he was going to write a new song. And he did, and he recorded it, and it's called Keep the Change. Uh-oh. Try to keep my money and my religion, too. Try to keep on working. Try to keep on smiling. I will keep my Christian name and y'all can keep the change. I'll keep my heroes' pictures on the wall. I'll keep my family safe. You bluff and I'll call. I'm gonna keep my big B.A.
Keep my friends the same. Keep the government out of my business and y'all can keep the change. This country sure as hell has been going down the drain. Like a J song. We're shoving words into there. Identical J. You get socialist states of America. Oh. How do you like that name? I really like that name. Listen, y'all can keep the change. Wow. So he's undecided. He's on the fence. Well, he certainly does have a strong opinion there, doesn't he? Old Hank. Old Hank. Clever for a country song. Yeah. You get real grumpy the older you get, I've found out. You get real grouchy about stuff. Well, what happens is you end up out on a river somewhere fishing all day long. It's hot. And you've done that now for 56 years. After a while, the sun begins to take its toll. It really does.
When you add about eight or nine cases of Schlitz into it every time you go out, hey, listen, you get pretty pissed off. You do. And, you know, you get real mad when you're young and when you're old. Yeah. When you're about my age, your age, all of our ages. It's like chilled out. You're just trying to make a living. Just trying to get through the day, man. Just trying to get through the day, really. And, like, you're worried. My biggest worry today is, like, what the hell am I going to eat for lunch? Yeah. I'm going to get through the show and I'm going to find something to eat. Can I get a nap in? No. Woods, you're going to adopt a kid. L.O.B. Woods is going to adopt a kid. L.O.B. is going to have a kid. Jay's got kids. I got kids. Also during your 30s and 40s, some of your stuff is, oh, crap, man. What'd they do? What'd they do? You get home. You get home, you smell something burnt. And you're like, what the? You get home. And your wife goes, oh, guess what? And you go, oh no, what'd he do? Do you know how many freaking guess what calls you're going to get? Do you have any idea in about five, six years? I mean, it's going to be, your phone is just going to be ringing and ringing and ringing. It's going to be your wife going, guess what? Yesterday, Jake said, mommy, Luke's on the coffee table. And we went in there and he was standing up on top of it, jumping up and down on a glass coffee table. Oh my God. Oh my God.
Every time that we were doing something bad as kids, my mom would always call my dad and say, guess what your daughter did? Your son. It's like the ownership is off of them. My mom did that. My dad on business trips, you know, a thousand miles away, my brother and I get in a fist fight and she's like, I'm calling your dad. And we're like, oh yeah. And you know, you're just going to get filleted when he gets home. And you know, it sucks to be the dad because you're like, What the hell? I just got home. I don't want to have to butt beat. I don't have to whoop somebody's butt. They didn't do anything to me. Hey, maybe you handle it. Take care of it. You get home and the wife's like, hey, take care of Luke. Luke didn't do anything to me. I don't want to take care. I kind of want to see Luke. You got to be the heavy. You got to be the heavy. What'd you do? Really? All right, well, let's take care of business. Yeah, and we can go play. Yeah, well, Hank Williams Jr. is at that time where that's done. His kids are all grown up now. They're all grown up. Now the guy's just out on a boat with his friends talking about Obama. You know, talking about Obama. Just furious. Just furious. Dang, change poster. That has somebody done again. Give me one, Budweiser. Dang, it's hot as hell out here.
What you using? What kind of bait you using? I'm using a lure. A lure? I got worms. I don't want a bait. I got worms. Baby, you hand me another bird. There you go, baby. God dang, I'm tired of that guy. That is so big. I'll tell you what he's going to do. Run the freaking country right in the ground. He's damn right. Going to hell in a handbasket. What are you going to do? He already done did it. He done did it. She right, man. Your lady's right. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. No, we can't. No, we can't. No, you can't. We should write a song about it. Hope. Hope. Oh, holy cow, man. Dang, big one. That's a big one. Gosh darn it, baby. Give me the net. What is that? Darn it, I lost him. I brought my guitar on the boat. I know you did. You do it. Cars. Let's do a song about our president, Mr. President. You're damn right. Start it. Dear Mr. President. Let's sing it. That's a Dixie Chick song already. That's a Dixie Chick song already. Well, let's do Dear Barack. I'll figure it out. Just see. Dear Barack. Old son of a bitch. He done it again. He did. I'm gonna have a good time. Talking to my grandma. Tell that little boy to save it up. Put your head between your legs and kiss it away. Kiss it away. Just kiss it away.
We'll work on it. That's a good start. Wow. Good old boys out there just mad. Hell yeah. So anyway, that's the deal with Monday Night Football. You're probably not going to see Hank doing his, all my rowdy friends, and are you ready for some football anymore? I think it was time. Yeah. Guess so. Fresh blood. It was for me, man. Gosh darn, that was just old. Are you ready for some football? I didn't like it. I hated it, man. Hey, L.O.B., I'm not kidding. I liked it the first 14 years. Gosh, darn it, but come on, man. If it ain't broke. It's a try in Chicago. It's such a weak bit. You know what, L.O.B.? You bring up a good point. This is one of the things that I battle with the radio show.
That'll be great stuff. I just get bored. It's great stuff. It's like Captain Buzzkill should call in every once in a while. I'm just bored. I like to mess around. And that's the other problem. We only do 550 things that are pretty good. They're pretty good. We could actually have a 14-hour show a day and do all the material. It's tough. That's what I figured out when we all got together. I was like... Holy crap, she does 90 voices. I do 90 voices. Woods doesn't. What are we going to do? Seriously. Jay does voices, imagations. That's right. So they found out that the cause of Steve Jobs' death was respiratory arrest brought on by the pancreatic cancer. Now, the stock went down a little bit. Well, first of all, right after he died, the stock went way, way up for Apple. It went way, way up. Then it plummeted. Okay? It plummeted. And the reason that it plummeted was because when the new iPhone was introduced, it wasn't the 5G, which everybody was expecting. All it was was something called iPhone 4S. The BS, I think it was called. Well, it turns out that people are not as down on it as we thought. In fact...
The stock was soaring yesterday because pre-orders for the 4S topped 1 million units in 24 hours. People are fanatical. That is correct. Wow. A million of them sold when they put them on pre-sale order. That is insane. Now, you've got to think about this. What kind of website do you have to have set up to take a million people saying, I want that? pretty big deal. Now, when they released the iPhone 4, that was the previous record. 600,000 of them sold. But this is, you know, as much as people are knocking this thing, it's pretty badass. Maybe they want to see the last thing Jobs was working on. You know, LOB, honestly, as I look at what this thing is, I go, it don't look so bad to me. It's faster. It's got an 8 megapixel camera in it, which...
Man, you're talking about a real camera. It's a legit camera. That's a legit camera. 1080p high-definition video. The new iOS 5 that comes out tomorrow, which is badass. A new voice command deal that'll let you call, text, email, remind you of stuff, give you weather. And this is what's weird about it. You don't have to talk to it like a computer. You can go, what's a good place to get something to eat? You talk to it like that. You don't have to say, Please give me a restaurant. It'd be cool if it talked to you back like a normal person. Yeah. You should try Kehlani's in Encinitas. It's really good. It's delicious. It sounds like Mike Damone from Fast Time. You should try Kehlani's. It's really good. Have you tried it yet? Hey, by the way, if you're interested in some really whacked out Thai food, there's a joint around the corner. Try the Mac salad. Click OK if you are...
Click the word okay if you're of questionable morals. Do you like iced tea? It's really good iced tea. Now, did you hear my last one, Woodsy? If you're of questionable morals. Check. Click okay. Now, I've got some friends that live on Third Street. Click okay if you're super of questionable morals. Super. Click. They've got something called Panda. No, they've got something called Pander. It's heroin. From the Andes Mountains. From the Andes Mountains, okay? So, yeah, anyway. Doesn't look like they're in such bad shape after all. You know, now they're on Verizon. They're on AT&T. It's doing very well. Okay, then the other big thing yesterday, which I cannot wait to tell you about, is...
What Netflix just had to send an email out about and do, they're comparing it to when Coke came up with New Coke. Oh, wow. It's that big of a disaster for that company. Is this new, Woods? It's not. Have you heard anything from his newest? Do you like it? It's incredible. Is it? Yeah. It's all acoustic and real slow and mellow. Woods, he loves the artist Ryan Adams. And this is some of his older work, So Alive. What I did is I put a little Brian Adams next for you so you can make the comparison and see that they are, in fact, two different people. Never been seen in the same room together. That's true. Speaking of music, did you know that Snoop Dogg's daughter is in the music biz now? Oh, boy. Oh, boy. And you're going to get to hear some Snoop Dogg's daughter. She's 12. I'll play it for you. I'm also...
Going to give you the audio that Woods got at Occupy San Diego at 730. And would you like to play buzzword? Call us if you want to play buzzword, 570-1949. Call us if you want to play buzzword. Start there. When you start with people who put healing at the center of their world, the rest falls into place. When those people choose life within a system that values good care over the almighty dollar, the rest comes naturally. And when that system frees those people from the burden of running a business, frees them to pursue a passion for improving lives, then it's only natural that the most passionate people line up with you. You nurture that passion, it flowers, it grows, it attracts the best of the best. Folks that answer to that higher calling, who at the end of the day can look into the mirror and say, today I made a difference. The rest, the drive to keep people healthy before they get sick, a belief that good health means tending not just to the body, but the mind and spirit as well, coordinating patients' information so they don't have to, all create a system that is so much greater than the sum of its parts. We are just that system, made of just those people.

People ever just like to protest? It's their right. It is their right. That's a true statement. That is a true statement. I stand by their right to be able to protest. It is my right to think it's goofy.
Netflix, don't know if you remember, Netflix decided we're going to raise our price 60%. Now, in and of itself, that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard in my life. My good friend Lauren O'Brien, LLB, she is a Netflix fan. Well, used to be a Netflix fan. Former. Former Netflix fan. Love Netflix. And when they did this, she said, so long. That's it. Goodbye. You broke up. Wow. They still sent me an email yesterday, so guess who's not over who? Yeah, they still want you. Yeah, they do, badly. They still want you. You broke up with Netflix, and when you did it, you let them know, listen, you're not going to do this kind of stuff to me. I'm better than this. Yeah, I let you do it once. I stuck around for the price increase, and then you wanted to become two different things on two different sites. You're not the same Netflix I once knew.
In fact, I used to love you, but you have changed so much. You've become two people. You're so full of yourself. You're so full of yourself, and now you're two people. Now you're Netflix and Quickster. And clearly you've got split personality. Well, there's issues there. You're bipolar. Bipolar. Now, Quickster was going to be their DVD only, which is what they started as, by the way. And if you enjoyed the DVD bit where you go to the mailbox, open it up, and go, oh, look, I got a new movie. If you like that, now you have to become a Quickster customer. And you've got to sign up for it. And you've got to put your credit card. And you'll get a separate bill for that. Oh, and if you want to watch it at home, a movie at home from Netflix, well, then you've got to be a Netflix customer that streams it. Two different – well, people – flipped out. What they thought would happen, what this guy, chief executive Reed Hastings at Netflix thought would happen was they would gain 400,000 customers. And what happened instead was they lost 600,000 customers. Wow. Over half a million. Over half a billion. Over half a billion customers. Is that right? A million.
Over half a million customers. LOB being one of them. Well, yesterday they sent out an email. And the email said, we screwed up again. Sorry. Butthole. They screwed up again. And they said, we're scrapping the idea of Quickster. Wow. Oh, man. We're sorry that we did this to you. We didn't mean to inconvenience you. Just forget it. Just forget we never brought it up. Please forget we brought it up. Who's Quickster anyway? Yeah. What's Quickster? We don't know who Quickster is. Oh my gosh. Just backpedaling. Yeah? Oh yeah. Now, I got the email. As soon as I got it, I forwarded the email to my good friend Lauren O'Brien. Which I had already gotten because apparently they haven't taken me off their list. Oh, no. They're going to try to get you back. They want me back. I bet you they will. I bet you they'll get you back. Now, I'm going to read you what the email that they wrote said. Okay? Here's what it said. And because I'm a new Netflix customer, I got it. It says, Dear Mike. Hard K. Weird. It is clear that for many of our members...
Two websites would make things more difficult. So we're going to keep Netflix as one place to go for streaming and DVDs. I didn't think of that before. You know what they thought they were going to do? They thought they were going to sell off Quickster to somebody else. Somebody would want to buy it. Like, oh, well, we want to be in the business of streaming only. So we're going to separate that out, sell it off, and then we'll take the profits and we'll get better content. stuff available for our customers, the streaming customers. Now, Reed Hastings, before yesterday, he was writing personal emails. No longer. You'll see what I mean. He goes, sorry, Netflix goes on to say, this means no change. One website, one account, one password. In other words, no Quickster.
While the July price change was necessary, we are now done with price changes. By the way, that means price change is still there. Oh yeah, it didn't go anywhere. We're constantly improving our streaming selection. We've recently added hundreds of movies from Paramount, Sony, Universal, Fox, Warner Brothers, Lionsgate, MGM, and Miramax. Plus, in the last couple of weeks alone, we've added over 3,500 TV episodes. From ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS, USA, E!, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, ABC Family, Discovery Channel, TLC, Sci-Fi, A&E, History, and PBS. We value you as a member. And we're committed to making Netflix the best place to get your movies and TV shows. Respectfully, the Netflix team. No longer a personal email from Reed. People have a bad taste in their mouth from Reed. That's right. Reed is making a lot of people mad. The board came in and they said, Reed, sorry. Zip it. Your name is off. So I thought that L.O.B. was not getting this email because she was no longer a Netflix customer. So I forwarded it to her and I said, you know, come on. And she wrote me back, too little, too late. They're going to have to woo her a little bit more. Wow, they're going to have to give her like a year free.
And I wrote her back. I said, please come back. Let's be Netflix friends because I'm now on Netflix. I need her to say to me, hey, Mike, check this one out. Check this one. And if she ain't on it, she can't do that with me. I need her back. You're the one guy that signed up during all this hubbub. Yeah. The one. Yeah. Because I realized during this hubbub. Oh. This actually works perfectly for me. Yes. I just want to stream it to my iPad or my iPhone. Right. And this is a billion stuff I haven't seen. Right. They weren't getting a whole hell of a lot of new memberships, though. Yes. You decided that this would be a really good time to sign up. Yes. And then L.O.B. wrote me back sarcastically and said, you know how much I miss it? So much. I wasn't being sarcastic. Oh, you meant it. I do miss it. You do miss it. She misses it. She misses his touch. And I wrote her back and I said, do you know what Netflix is saying to you, LLB? They're saying, take me to your heart before I'll run there. Is that right? Yeah. And that's actually a very, very... She'll play hard to get for about a month and then she'll cave. No, you want to know why? Please. I think Netflix... Come back. ...is kind of like...
Like the MySpace now. Like I think it may have seen its day because they're competing now with Apple and Amazon. They're cheaper than Apple. They are for now. They are for now. But now, you know, they're going to have to pay. That's why the price increase. Because the higher the demand from people that want this content, from the movie makers and all that, they can start increasing their prices and being like, oh. Well, everybody wants in on the streaming. So I think that they're not going to be able to compete. The bigger companies are going to get more selection. Netflix, sorry. You know what, M1s? In about 10 years, the world's going to be real trippy. You know what else I think is in trouble? I was thinking about it yesterday. You know what else I think might be in trouble? Professional sports. The National Football League, the biggest sport in America. Major League Baseball. All of the big sports, I think they may be in trouble. Dude, I'm watching the football game this weekend. I can practically see boogers in dudes' noses. I'm not kidding you. It looks so good. And it's only getting better. Watching football games looks so good. Plus, I get replays. Plus, I know where the...
First yard, where they had to go to get a first down. Plus, I know where the line of scrimmage is because there's a blue line. Jakey was watching the game with me, and he goes, did he make it to the yellow line? And he knows what that means, first down. If I took him to a football game, it would suck for him. There's no yellow line. It would suck for, let's be honest, it would suck for me. You know, my only defense to that would be this. Professional sports has been played alive in front of an audience since its inception. There's always been something to come along to take people out of the stadium. Not like this, Woods. I know. I know. However, what you can't replace is the camaraderie of you and five buddies going to tailgate before a game. You're throwing your jersey on. Walking. Still, I'm 36. When I walk up the stairs into Petco, or any ballpark for that matter. I just went to Anaheim to see the Yankees play. When I walked up and I looked at the field. In all of its glory, I was like, this is it. The experience. You're right. You're right. There is nothing like that. Here's the problem. The problem is that you're 36 years old and you grew up in a time where you actually did that. Right. Because the alternative was to watch a fuzzy football game on television.
Okay? Now as people are growing up, they're growing up watching football games at home, and they look great. Oh, yeah. They don't look good. They look great. It's phenomenal. And so, you're right. Now what you do is you have five of your friends put their jerseys on and come over to your climate-regulated home to watch it on a high-definition big screen, and it looks great. Yeah, you know, I hear you. And there's no Raider fan. peeing on the back of your head and throwing beer around and there's fights and your kid having to deal with F you, you effing effer. That's true, dude. But, you know, I'm flying up in two weeks to go to the Notre Dame-USC game. I watch Notre Dame on my high def big screen every weekend and I cheer and I yell and I curse. Boy, walking into that stadium on game day, there ain't nothing. Watching them come out of the tunnel, I will be... A psychotic person. A psychotic person for four hours watching that game. If I'm right, this is what we'll hear within the next ten years. That professional sports is facing a new challenge and it's stadiums that are not as full as they used to be and they will discover that the problem is television. Yeah, for sure. I mean, it's a possibility. This is what I remember. I remember when DirecTV came out.
Back in like 1996. And I remember going over to a friend's house. And it was a satellite dish that you had on your own house. And you could get this crystal clear picture. And it was really going to change and revolutionize everything. And I went over to his house. You know who it was, Jay? BC. Remember BC? He used to be on the radio here. It's BC. Went over to BC's place. I remember the game. The game was the 49ers versus the Green Bay Packers. I looked at it and I thought, it's like a turd. That's what I thought in my head. To BC, I said, whoa, look at that. Wow. That's great. I can't tell the difference. I can't tell the difference in that and cable. That means because there was no high definition then. Right. There was no high definition. I remember years ago listening to the Howard Stern show. Howard Stern got one of the first high definition televisions. There was like one thing you could watch in high definition. But he said it was incredible. I hadn't seen it personally. First time I did see it, I went, son of a B. That's different. That don't look like TV. That's different. Sports on HD? There's nothing like it.
There's nothing like golf or football or baseball on HD. There's nothing like that. But a lot of the stadiums are getting the big high-definition scoreboard things, too. So now you'll see they're going to make the experience better and better as well. And it is getting better, man. Plus, in most cities that people are fanatical about their sports, that's the only thing going on in town. And that is their thing. Lambeau will never not be sold out. Exactly. Here is a little bit of the song. Do My Thing by Snoop Dogg's 12-year-old daughter, Corey B. Is she going to do her thing when she's 12? How do you do your thing when you're 12? What is your thing? What's your thing when you're 12? I'm a fan of that type. I don't like that. There's a lot of auto-tune going on. Oh, yeah. I saw an interview with her, too. She could not even carry on a conversation because she was so shy. She's real shy. Oh, no. Then she did her thing right after. You've got to be very outgoing to do that line of work. Let's play Buzzword. 570-1949. M1 Ashley from Ramona. Who do you want to represent you on Buzzword? You got it. M1 Cowboy from Vista. Who do you want to represent you on Buzzword? Mikey. You got it. And finally, M1 Zero Cool from Chula Vista. You got Woodsy. Hang on the line. Lucky. Perfect.
What's the word, Jay? Here we go. We're playing for a $20 gift card to Dave and Buster's. What's the word? What's the word? The word is bird. Bird is the word. Bird is the word. B-I-R-D. All right, so he's going to give us a hint, and bird will be in the answer. Here we go. Let's do it. Celtic star. Larry Bird! Darn it. Woods, stop being fast. Sesame Street's feathered fur. Bird! I'm going to give it to Lauren. Since everyone else just went blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Leonard Skinner. Free bird. Darn it. Woods. Woods, Woods, Woods. Hush. Prisoner. Jail bird. Darn it. Yes. Funny that Woods would know that. That's right. It's jail bird. Open your mouth, Lauren. Gosh, darn it. Fellow prisoner of Al Capone. The Birdman of Alcatraz. Mikey. Here we go. He catches the worm. Early.
Give it to Woods. Son of a bee. Son of a bird. Son of a bird. Anne Murray's Spread Your Tiny Wings song. Free, uh, Fly Little Bird! No. Silver Bird! Hummingbird. What'd you say? Fly Little Bird! Silver Bird! Nope. Free this bird. Fly this bird. Fly Bird! Nope. Funny Little Bird. Mockingbird! As soon as he says it, I'm going to kill him. Snowbird. Snowbird! I don't even know who Ann Murray is. Oh, come on. You Needed Me? Remember You Needed Me? No. You Needed Me. She has some real creepy songs, too. Here we go. This is worth Two in the Bush. Oh, gosh. I thought he was saying points. Can we please have a new word? I thought he was saying points. Okay, new word is crack. Oh, man. C-R-A-C-K. That sucks. Here we go. When the rooster crows. Crack it on! L-O-B. Find the clue that solves the case. Crack the case! There you go. Gosh darn it! Open a text. Crack a book! Oh! Son of a... Why? Make a funny statement. Crack a joke! Crack a joke! Crack a joke! Crack a joke! We all said it! No, I'll give it to Lauren. Oh, come on! Smirk.
And Lauren again. B.S. B.S. She started before you did. You may have joined in with her. Is this farce over? What's the score, Lauren? This is a farce. A joke. This farcical game. Wood 6, Lauren 5, Mikey 1. We got another. This is it, and this is a three-pointer. Oh, gosh. You have to do this to make an omelet. Crap! Lauren. Bullcrap. You are a S.O.P. That's a BS. This is a farcical game. Such a farcical world. I'm three in a row. This is a fake world. How do you get that? Fakiness. Fake win. That's a fake thing. Jay. I mean, I got bent over. I'm sore right now. Yeah. I got bent over. Yeah, that's right. That's right. Jay just.
Assaulted us. You. She is giggling her. I mean. She's giggling. I smoked her. I smoked you all. Gosh. Don't. M1 Ashley. I hope you're proud. Fake win. She won. You're the Patriots. She, finger quotes, won for you. Scoreboard. Holy crap. I'm not playing anymore. We need to use the buzzers. Unbelievable. We need an impartial judge in here to watch our mouths. We're going to do Pick Your Poison. It's girls that you would never want to be with in your entire life, and we all have to figure out which one we would be with in a relationship. I figured it out. I figured it out. Also, There's a new Dr. Pepper, and it isn't for women. And they're not ashamed of telling you, women, don't drink us. And I even have the commercial to prove it. Dr. Kevorkian, 100 assisted suicides. They're auctioning off, I guess, his suicide machine. It's kind of a strange thing to get. I wonder what it'll go for. What a creepy machine. Oh, yeah. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? I'm going to tell you about Monday Night Football last night, but first I wanted to tell you that sports is brought to you today by Expressly Gourmet, delivering San Diego's favorite restaurants. Well, it was the first Monday Night game in 10 years for the Detroit Lions last night, and they came to play. They are 5-0. They beat the Chicago Bears 24-13.
Matthew Stafford, the Cabbage Patch Kid. He looks just like a Cabbage Patch doll. Hooked up with Megatron, Calvin Johnson, his all-world receiver. Johnson was incredible. Five catches, 130 yards and a score. Javid Best had an 88-yard rushing touchdown, 163 yards on the ground. They dominated. They're 5-0, the Detroit Lions. They're sick good. Oh, yeah. They are really, really. This is no fluke, man. No. So they are in first place. So weird. They're tied with Green Bay in their division. Now, that's the hard part for them. They got Green Bay in their division. It helps when you release your GM who five years in a row selected a wide receiver. Correct. Yeah, Mr. Matt Millen. Yes. The worst GM in history. Maybe in history. Also, the NBA has announced. They announced yesterday that it has canceled the first two weeks. Of the 2011-2012 regular season. And not really many people seem to care, to be honest with you. That's true statement. I heard from one guy that was like, hey, man, I care. I'm sorry. I didn't do it. I'm not in the league. I'm just saying. You're just telling. I just tell it like it is. Occupy San Diego. How about it? Well, it started in New York City, you know.
They're upset about Wall Street. Can't blame them. And they were protesting. They're standing outside protesting. Well, it's spread. Now they're doing it all across the country, including San Diego. Just people out there smoking some fresh weed and just tenting it up. Tent it up real good. And just hanging out, protesting, you know. Protesting a bunch of stuff. Yes. I saw a multitude of flyers, signs. T-shirts, all kinds of little booths set up that you could protest. You could protest dirty water. Sure. You could protest carcinogens in the air. I wonder what percentage of Republicans there are in that crowd. I think there's zero. Zero percentage. Zero percent. In fact, I would say there's probably not a lot of Democrats. You're right. That's what I found. Yeah. It's just like straight up, you know. Nothing. We don't belong to any party. Now, Woods went out there and talked to some folks yesterday. You're going to get to hear the audio in about 20 minutes. I can't wait. Oh, yeah. It's going to deliver. Dr. Pepper has a new product, and they do not want women to drink it, and they're not kidding around. Colby, the guy that won Survivor years ago. Calais. Not Colby. Calais. Calais. Calais. Colby the cowboy. Calais.
But Colby something, I can't remember his name. He was on Survivor, and then he hosted a show about guns on TV. He's a well-known dude's dude. He is the guy that they chose for this television commercial. Hey, ladies. Enjoying the film? Because this is our movie! And Dr. Pepper 10 is our soda. It's only 10 manly calories, but with all 23 flavors of Dr. Pepper. It's what guys want, like this. Catchphrase. So you can keep the romantic comedies and lady drinks. We're good. Dr. Pepper 10, it's not for women. Now, you get it. They go, well, how are we supposed to sell a product with 10 calories? How are we supposed to sell that to a man? How? I mean, it's just, it sounds so girly. Only 10 calories. It's a 10 calorie soda. Now, if you create a 10 calorie soda.
Really, you really have a niche market. And the market is generally, you know, young teenage girls or young women who are watching their figures. And, you know, they're very conscientious about what they put in their bodies. But if you go outside of that, you're really not going to find a lot of guys at the baseball game or the football game thing. Do you have one of those 10 calorie colas? A DP10. I want a DP10 because... I'm sort of watching the intake here with the wings, the chicken wings, and the pizza. So the marketing move is, well, let's just say it's for dudes. Let's make the can look like balls. It goes the opposite way for me. It looks like boobs. Yeah, boobs. I always drink Coke Zero. If I am going to drink a Coke, which I don't want to do very often, I'll drink Zero. I don't like Coke Zero, though, and I don't like the diet. I might try this, though. Diet Dr. Pepper, I think, tastes great. Tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper. I do think so. It's okay. You in on this, Woods? 100%. Because you love Dr. Pepper. God, I love me some fresh DP. Loves it. So you'll be all in on Dr. Pepper 10. Yeah, if it tastes like freaking Dr. Pepper that I know and love with the 23 flavors, I'm in on the whole thing. I'm sure it won't be sweet enough for you. Typical fat guy. Jay will just, what he'll do is he'll roast you.
Until you're charbroiled. He will get you until it is over. He will put you on the grill. He'll go have seven Manhattans. He'll forget to come back to the grill. And then there you are. Yeah. Just roasted. Seriously. You were a 72 ounce steak. Now you've been roasted so much. You've fallen through the slats in the grill. Yes. You're laying there on the charcoal. I also believe it's a brilliant move by Dr. Pepper because what do women usually. want when you say you can't have this. You don't want it. I might not get it. Yeah. Are you going to try it? No, I don't drink diet sodas. She doesn't. All natural. There's more chemicals in those. I'd rather have the calories in a real soda if I'm going to have a soda. She's in good shape. She's got good skin. I wish I could go, well, you know. I can't. She's got white teeth and everything. Pisses me off. I'd like to be able to go. Well, look, L.O.B. You've gotten sore throat all the time. No, she doesn't, though. Your hair's longer than it's ever been. Longer. Actually, it's shorter because I got it cut. Thanks for noticing. Thanks a lot. My bad. Woods. Am I the only one that didn't notice? No, it was a while ago. Oh, okay. I got a wife to notice stuff with. I have to do it. You have to notice stuff. You got to notice with the wife. Yes, you do. Why don't you get your eyelashes done, babe? Oh, they look great. They look beautiful. Gorgeous. That's a really, I like that a lot.
You should do that. It looks great. Hey, did you get your eyebrows done? Hi, LLB. Looks like you got your hair cut about three weeks ago. I didn't say anything then because I was saving it for a better time. It looks really good. Thank you. Are you supposed to be my husband? Yeah, it's dynamite. It's dynamite. Tracy Morgan went on The Late Show. A little nervous. Haven't reviewed the audio, and it says note content. I don't know what we're about to hear. This is Tracy Morgan on The Late Show with David Letterman doing his Al Pacino impression. Let's hear it. Are you working on this movie now? Is it the Al Pacino film? No, we did that last summer. You're all done with that. That comes out November 4th with Al Pacino. Oh, just right around the corner here. Yeah, I had so much fun working with Al, baby. Good for you. I don't have many. I mean, people ask me all the time, well, did you have any Al Pacino impressions? No. They ask you. They don't ask you. They ask you. ASK. Ask Body Spray. I can do it. You know, I have one Al Pacino impression, and that's because I love Donnie Brasco. You remember the part when he was standing there with Donnie? He said, hey, you want to check in with me tomorrow? Pretty good. Not bad. That's pretty good. Not bad at all.
I love that part too, Tracy. You're amazing. You want to check in with me tomorrow? You want to check in with me? Okay. Power. Now, maybe it's the Dave asking Tracy Morgan about the homophobic comments that he made on stage. Remember that? He got in some trouble and Dave asked him about it. Now, Tracy, tell us, unless you're tired of talking about it, what happened? You're on stage in a club in Nashville, and all of a sudden there's a big storm controversy. You're apologizing. You went on Oprah. You were crying and sobbing. What happened? You mixed the two stories up. I was asking Oprah to come back. Mix the two stories up. So what happened? Me crying off. Well, you know, at the end of the day, I'm a comedian. I try to use my gift that God gave me to help the world, you know, to heal the world, not to hurt anyone. I was hurt by it because people came to the show and were bummed out. So I apologize to those folks that came and was bummed out. And you were talking about if your son came to you and announced that he was a homosexual. No way. I love my son. I'm the number one dad.
So what were people upset about? I just think it was a misunderstanding. I was up there working. And sometimes when you have networks like maybe Comedy Central is premise, set up, punchline. Right. Premise, set up, punchline. But I came up under the old regime, you know, George Carlin and all those people. Sometimes I have to make my point. I have to get to it, you know. You're more of an anecdotal comic. Yeah. And I just guess that became a big, big misunderstanding. Now, did you not say what they were upset about? Did I not say, I can't remember, that was maybe 50 shows ago. You know, I certainly don't want to call him out on that. I think he remembers, though, because you're reminded of it so much. Yeah, he almost got fired from his job at 30 Rock. That's right, so I would think that maybe it would be ingrained in his memory. Comedy in the spirit of Richard Pryor and Lenny Bruce and George Garland and all the people like this that came before me. He was George Garland's good friend. George Garland. Judy Garland's son. Son, yes. Oh, yeah, I'm in that group. Yeah, I'm in that group. No, no, no. You know what I mean? I'm right up there. I'm just trying to keep the dignity in it. No, no, no, no. I understand what you're saying.
But my intentions totally was not to hurt anybody. Well, of course, nobody ever goes about it to hurt anybody. You're just sort of looking at the collective universality and making remarks about it. So you apologized because you had made a mistake or you apologized because people were upset? I apologized because people came to the show and they paid money and they got upset about it. You know, that wasn't my intention to hurt anybody with my humor. That's not my goal. I just think that it got out of hand. And I think everybody involved handled it with grace. And I think we moved on. And I'm good with it. I still feel a love for the audiences. And I love Big Back. I thought it was all a bunch of hooey. Yeah, hooey. You're on stage. You're allowed to say whatever you want. If I don't like it, that's fine. Leave. You know, I don't have to like it. He can get up there and make autistic jokes. I have an autistic son. I don't have to like it. It's his right to make the joke. I just don't have to like it. Comedians, they should get somewhat of a pass. I mean, as long as it's not hateful. Yeah. If it's not hateful, hateful, like, hey, you need to go out and beat the crap out of any whatever you see. Right. You know, that's different. That's spreading hate. Well, you don't have to laugh at them. Right. You don't have to. Well, he's a comedian, so I should laugh because he said it. No, but.
The, like, oh, well, he hates this group now and he hates that group. Well, you could go through the whole set and say, well, he must hate Sarah Palin. Right. I mean, it's just stupid. You know, here's the deal. All of us that do this job are comics. All of us that do a morning radio show where it's funny, we're comics. That's what we do. Whether you realize it or not, Dave Rickard's a comic. All of us. We're not the McNeil-Lair Report. But also, see, there are times where we'll switch. We'll go from being funny, just like your friends, to being normal and having a normal conversation where it's not supposed to be funny. But I just don't get it, man, where people get in trouble for the stuff they say. People were upset about our ignorance of... the whole Occupy movement yesterday on Facebook. And I thought back to what we were saying, and all we did was a...
humorous commentary on it. I missed it. What did I miss? Someone was like, you know, I love you guys, but you sounded pretty ignorant when you were talking about the Occupy San Diego thing. And it wasn't like we were reporting on it. How so? That's what I wanted to know. Did they say what we didn't understand? No, because we played a clip. Didn't we play a clip or you read a quote? He read like what was happening, how they were... They had moved to City Hall Friday. And then we just went into sort of a riff and a banter about a group of protesters. But we didn't report on it. Listen, I'll tell you. I am ignorant. Yeah. I am ignorant when it comes to Occupy Wall Street and Occupy San Diego. I am ignorant to it. I'm not the only one. Guess who else is ignorant to it? Most of the people out there are ignorant to it. That's a true statement. Most of the people that are out there protesting don't know why they're there. There's a lot of conflicting ideologies out there. And I saw it with my own two eyes. Even the mission statement on the site is pretty vague. It's pretty vague. And by the way, the Occupy Wall Street in New York City...
hired a very, very high-powered PR firm to get their message out there. A very high-powered PR firm. And yet still, the smell of fresh marijuana permeates. Yeah, it's like going to Bonnaroo. I expected Kings of Leon to walk out on stage and be like, here we are. But, yeah, that's the difference between doing humorous commentary and trying to say, okay, so now, everybody, I'm going to tell you what it means, the occupies. You know, that's not what we were doing. And that's not what we do. That's not what we do. You know, we do. We have been said to shoot from the hip on a few things, and we do. We have to. We have to. We can't know everything about it. We talk about everything. We can't know everything about all of it. True story. All right. Let's do Pick Your Poison. The way that it works is that. L.O.B. is going to bring up two women. We have to decide which of the women we would be in a committed relationship with. This is not to say make sex to. This is to say, well, I mean, if you're in a committed relationship, that's part of it. It's not the only thing. Now, once again, I'm going to plead with Woods and Jay to not just make it physical. No.
J, don't just talk about their junk. Yeah. Here we go. Okay. What? Anne Hathaway or Gwyneth Paltrow? Easy. Gwyneth Paltrow. My brother has turned me on to her blog, and I like her. Goop. Goop. What? Oh, boy. Goop. Git. What? What's the problem? It's so pompous. Oh, is it? It is. It's her life. What is she supposed to do? Change it for us? Yeah. It's her life. Hey, try this product. It's only $700 for an ounce. Guess what? That's her life. Sorry. I can't afford that, but it's interesting. Don't market it to me, then. Market it to your other rich friends. She doesn't. She just has a blog. Supremist. Woods. Gwyneth. Because I cannot stand Anne Hathaway. My wife the other day just looked at people. She goes, oh, with the Anne Hathaway cat woman. It's hideous. I go, I know, babe. I know. Thank you. Jay. Anne Hathaway. I love her big views on things. Her big views on things? Her strong opinions. A couple of big views. He's talking about her breasts. All it comes down to is, who would I rather sleep with? She's sweet. What's sweet about her?
I like the way that she's giving. What does she give? And her receiving. You're a creep? You're a creep from Creeptown. Creepville, USA. Seems like a good person. You live in the Creepton Mountains. Yes. You are the mayor of Creepville. He fishes in the creepy river. Yes. You used to grow up in your backyard fishing in the creep. A lot of towns have Main Street. Your town has Creep Street. That is true. L.O.B.? Creep High. Graduate. 78. 82. 82. My bad. Fergie or Kesha? That's another easy one for me. Me too. For me, it's Fergie. The reason is because Fergie is older. Unlike a lot of you creeps, I don't feel... That she is unattractive. I feel Fergie is attractive. Yes. Hang on. For someone that got hit with an ugly pan. Now hang on. An ugly pan. Sorry. There was that incident where she went pee-pee on herself here in San Diego while performing a concert because she was really inebriated. But I think she's better. I really do. I think she's better. The thing about Kesha.
She's young and I couldn't stand listening to the... And he was all. What I couldn't stand from Fergie would be like, she'd be like, are you ready? But only in concert. No way. She'd be like, are you ready for this? Exactly. Stop it. Relax. Okay, so you either have that or... I'm so mad because he was all, and I was all, what? And she was all, oh, I bet. Have you been on Facebook? And I was all, I liked it last night. And she's like, oh my gosh, you liked it? You're weird. And I was all, no. Woods. Kesha. Creep. Creep. No way. Creep. She's young and fresh. Creep. She is road hard and put away weight. All you care about is sex. No. Haggard. She's haggard. Kesha and I could have long conversations. You're a creep, Jay. Get it? I liked Fergie when she was Stacey on Kids Incorporated. She's very haggard now. She did a lot of meth. She's a meth addict. Is that what happened? One more. One more. Let's see. Okay. Where do I want to go? Give me something good. Something juicy. Kate Middleton. It's going to be hard for anybody to go up against Kate Middleton. That's the Prince.
Prince William. Nice crumpets. That's right. Or Cameron Diaz. Kate Middleton. How is there an argument there? I go Cameron. Cameron's a 50-50 girl. Cameron is... That means 50% of the time, absolutely stunning. The other 50% of the time... The opposite of absolutely stunning. You're going just on looks, Mike. Kate Middleton's like, I need to use this fork, and I need to use this napkin, and I need to be so proper at all times. I like it. She's very thin, and I like a little meat. She'd bring me up to this level, and I'd bring her down to this level. So together, we would be very balanced. See, like Kate. Oh, yeah. I'm like Cameron. Because you'd have fun and surf with her and stuff. Yeah, she'd be fun. She's like, if you've seen something about Mary. Oh, man. Was that a dig? At me? You said Cameron? Cameron. Oh, okay. Yeah, Cameron would surf with you. You couldn't go surfing with Kate Metal. Oh, I don't know. I've seen pictures. She looks fun and diving off the boat. I'm not getting sand in my shoes. You expect me to walk on sand. And then there's her sister, too, because you get one. That's not how it works. You're guaranteed to have sex with her sister. You're a creep, Jay. When we come back, audio of Woods at Occupy San Diego. And it's good.

Guys dancing with skinny ties with keyboards on them. All right. So Woodsy went out and...
He talked to the folks at the San Diego protest going on down at City Hall. Let me tell you something, too. This isn't 15 interviews that I edited and went through. These are the first three people that I spoke with. I was there for maybe 18 minutes, maybe. And I looked and I go, well, I got enough. Occupy San Diego. That is the name of it. Occupy San Diego. They're out there supposedly protesting Wall Street. Although I think it's kind of hard to tell from the clips that you're about to hear. Let's see. Jay, what page again? It's your working page. My working page. Got it. Okay. Here we go. So the first person that Woods talks to is a guy with a tie-dyed shirt. Yes. and he has a very serious problem with Christopher Columbus. All right, how you doing, man? What's your name? My name is Michael Anderson. I'm doing well. Michael Anderson, tell me what's going on down here. Right now we're occupying the Civic Center in San Diego. We're in solidarity with the occupations going on around the country and around the world. We're in solidarity with the occupation that was started in Wall Street. The 99% are coming together to stand up against the 1% who own almost half the wealth in this country. Okay, so far.
That's the only piece of real information I've gotten. That we are standing up against the 1% who owns everything. Up until that point, all dude had said was what we all know. That is a very true statement. How's it been going so far? It's been going very well. There hasn't been a lot of police presence, but that's probably going to run out as today we're on the weekends coming to an end. Today's the Indigenous People's Day or Christopher Columbus Day, as some people call it. Now, at this point, knowing Woods the way I know Woods, he's like, hmm, dude's got a problem with Christopher Columbus. You don't call it Christopher Columbus. No, definitely not. How come? Because he was a slave trader and a racist. And the result. They just throw everything in there. Yeah, why not? He looked at weird porn. He's a rapist. Rapist. I mean, everything. Well, he's right. Yeah, Parvo. Yeah, Parvo. He had HPV.
He also discovered the new world. Did he? Did he? Oh, no. Okay, you guys are right. You're right. You guys are right. They don't celebrate in schools anymore. Spanish and white settlers coming here was the genocide of 14 million indigenous people. That's fair. That's fair enough. That's fair enough. By the way, before I get emails and Facebook lights up, I was wrong. He's... Columbus was racist and bad, and I didn't... I'm sorry. About time. Why do you have a shirt on that says, I love the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria? Because before I came here today, I thought this shirt was right, and now I know that it is bad. Christopher Columbus, no. Bad. No. No. No. No. Now, who did Discover America? I heard it was Amerigo Vespucci. I heard it was Antonio America. He, finger quote, discovered a land that was already inhabited. Yes. Got it. How long do you expect to be out here? Well, I expect to be out here until it's over, until we've given our demands, until Wall Street and the other cities have come in and given their demands. What?
I'm going to stay here until we've given our demands, which means that someone will come out and go, hey, guys, I just can I get everybody's attention real quick? Can I get everybody's attention real quick? I just wanted to let you know everybody can go home because we just gave our demands. What were they? What were our demands? We want the banks to close. And so we let them know that that we want them to close. What were their demands? We're not leaving until we know theirs. Well, they want to stay open. The banks want to stay open and stuff. Well, then we're not leaving! Those are a strange set of circumstances that have to happen for him, the Christopher Columbus hater, to leave. Or until the police have removed us.
Oh, now that one. Now that one. Now he's now. There we go. That one might be something. The next people Woods ran into were a couple at Occupy San Diego. Yes. The protests going on downtown. Both were barefoot, by the way. Smelled strongly the aroma of fresh marijuana cigarettes. He had a top hat on. Oh. Top hat. Yep. That definitely fits. And they are both very against. Corporate America. All right, how you doing, man? What's your name? Sad, happy, madman at your service. Glad to meet you. Say that on your birth certificate. And what is your name? McKiella. McKiella. Tell me what you guys are doing down here. I am here to help people feel as strange and as free as I do. Okay. Question was, is that Steve-O? It's identical Steve-O. It's identical Steve-O, boys.
I am here because I am. And are you, I guess you guys are part of the Occupy movement against Wall Street, is that right? That's correct. Does it feel a little weird that Wall Street is so far away yet we are here? Not at all because there's Starbucks and there's McDonald's and there's Walmart in our own neighborhoods. We're standing here at the Civic Center. We can see Bank of America and Union Bank from here. And they're daunting 25 stories. Yes, absolutely. It's about showing solidarity as well. Okay, for people in New York. Yeah, even if these things weren't here, which they are because they affect everybody, it's about showing solidarity in numbers. Solidarity. It's a big player out there. It's a big player, yes. So can I see your wallet and see what debit card you have then? Well, then they probably don't. Keep in mind, they do not subscribe to corporate America. Question. Do you guys, is this what you do? Or did you have to get sick days at work? Or can you just, you're free to do what you want and you want to come down and hang out? Well, it's a tough world. I'm unemployed. Are you? Yeah, it's been rough for a lot of people. How about you? I have a BA and I've been out for a year and a half. Is that right? I worked at Subway for a couple months and Domino's for a couple months. Big corporations though, both of those. Oh, what's it? What's it? I love it. What? I love it. What? What's it? Yeah!
Yes! Yes! Oh. Oh. Domino's. Mom and Pop. Yes. Neighborhood. You mean the neighborhood Subway. Seven billion Subways. Yes. Owned by Johnny and Ethel Subway. Yeah. They are. Yeah. And other than that, can't find anyone. Well, that was a quick brush over. Yes, they are. But anyway. Your point being. Yes. Okay. Babysitting maybe. Yeah. Well, what's the plan? How long do you guys plan on being out here? As long as my feet will stand. That a boy. Nice. And you? Definitely. Same. Well, thank you guys and good luck to you and your cause. Thank you. Now, by the way, while you're here, you recognize that you've got to eat. If you do eat, I am going to assume that you are going to grow that food and or.
raise that livestock. And if you don't eat animals, I'm going to assume that you will in fact cultivate through natural and organic compost your own organic vegetables to eat while you're here. You will not frequent any place around here on Broadway that is a corporation, for instance, and not limited to that Pizza Hut, that Burger King, that McDonald's. Put down that Starbucks. Yes. The next guy was a giant. A giant? A giant. In more ways than one. He was six foot what? Five. Dreadlocked. Dreadlocked. And he feels that paper currency is going to be a thing of the past. Hey, what's your name, man? John. John, I'm Steve. Nice to meet you. Tell me a little bit about what's going on down here today.
This is, in fact, Occupy, one of the many around the country, around the world, actually. We have significant numbers just for that fact. And this is the beginning of what your president, Obama, has stated change. This is the real change. By that statement, am I to believe that you are for Obama or against Obama? Because you called him my president. I say I am neither for nor against. Kind of on the fence. We are all meant to govern ourselves. But we do. He did promise change. And you guys are also trying to exact some change, right? We are all part of the same collective humanity on this planet. Yeah, fair enough. You know? Fair enough. Oh, man.
Now, that's true. We are a part of the collective humanity. You just say in statements? Yes. In the end, what's going to guide us to our age of light is going to be the truth. And the truth is, the true currency is compassion. Love be our guide. Compassion be our action. That's great. In this, if each person as individuals were to take off their own shoes and put on the shoes of all those around them. Which, by the way, disgusts me. The thought of taking my shoes off and someone putting them on and me trading them with someone else. Who knows what kind of fungal thing can be going on there. Warmth. Oh, warm. Sweaty. And instead of having compassion for their own vices and desires, have compassion for the more important fellows. brothers and sisters around, then you'll find that we won't need any kind of paper currency or any kind of function of government to make it. I think I'm following. What he's saying is if we could just have love for one another, we wouldn't need the currency, the paper currency. So if we didn't have paper currency, what would be a good alternative? Compassion. Compassion.
So if I wanted something, I could just use compassion. I ask you for something. You give it to me. It'd be even deeper than that. You'd have it already. I'd have it already. You'd have it already. That is pretty deep. Thanks for talking to me, John. All right, buddy. What about a Volkswagen Passat? I have it already. You have it already? I have it already? You say that you need it, but you already have it. You already have a Passat? Yes. I don't have a Passat. Yes, you do. I do. Think about it. Stop. Maybe not in the physical sense. Here, take my shoe. Oh, wow. Okay. All right. Put that on. I don't want to. And give me yours. And then you'll already have it. Here, wear my bra. I'll have a Passat? If I wear your bra? Yeah. You already have a Passat. Well, so after talking to John, I mean, I was really moved and I thought that, well, I'd give it a shot. Yeah. I'd give it a shot. Yeah. And see if Compassion would, in fact, get me a free lunch. Yeah, I was going to get some lunch, but I don't have any cash. What about compassion? Can I pay with compassion? So wait a minute. So it isn't working yet. It doesn't appear to be working yet. So currency I have to use, right?
No compassion. Compassion will not work. I cannot pay with compassion. No. All right. Well, at least, I guess. Tried. Oh, great. Wow. Clearly, you already had it. Guess that doesn't work. That's his goal, you see. Oh, I didn't know. That's the goal. I wasn't sure. I was not sure. You could go up and pay with compassion. Well, it would be a great world if I could, in fact, go to McDonald's and say, I'd like to use compassion. Because I want a Big Mac. In that world, it wouldn't be McDonald's. It would be the Banana Hut. Let me tell you something. Woods called me and let me know. You're going to hear it tomorrow, pal, but I got gold. I just walked out of Ulta. I'm sitting in my car, and I go, and I see that he had called me, and I check it, and I go, oh, wow. You were getting something for Rebecca at Ulta? What is Ulta? Beauty supply store. It is? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Is it in the mall? Well, looks like we've got to take a break. No. No, we don't. We have six minutes. Six minutes, yeah. Should be able to wrap this up in six minutes, maybe. Ulta's a what? Beauty supply store. Oh. Beauty supply? Yes. Is it in the mall? Sue me. It's like a strip mall, probably. It's a place where they sell, you know, cologne.
Well, that's not the primary thing they sell. Like beauty supply. A lot of makeup. They have cologne there. Hair products for women. Oh, they have cologne? They have like one little table. Three. Maybe. Unisex cologne? Three tables. Two tables. Two tables. It's an aisle. Listen to me. What'd you get? What'd you have to get? Two things. What did you need? Oh, gosh. One of them was a... Oh, my gosh. One of them was, all right, you know, like I'm not going through enough with this. I needed something called DeSlick, okay? It's a product by, I can't remember the name of it. Mattifier? Yep. Oh, my gosh. How many mattifiers must one need, does one need?
That's the same one that I got last. It's the best mattifier I've ever bought in my life. It's in the women's makeup department? Yes, it is. But I'm all woman. Really? With it? Yeah. Enough. Isn't that enough? Cosmetic. I was kneeling down. Probably with my butt crack showing. That's true. Can't help yourself. Thong showing? Wasn't mine? Thong just out there. I saw a lot of Mikey's coin slot at the Mikey-thon. What was that, Jay? I saw a lot of Mikey's coin slot at the Mikey-thon. And yesterday at Ulta. So I'm in the Ulta. So I'm in the aisle. I'm kneeling down, and I'm looking, and I just am thinking to myself, get me out, get me out, get me out, get me out. Uh, the product, uh, I can't remember what it's called. It comes in a purple box and, uh, uh, it's, but it's called D slick and I just want to find it. I can't find it. And a woman says, can I help you find anything? And I said, yeah, I, uh, I'm actually looking for it. It's a, uh, it's a mattifier. I got it here once and it's just, you know, it's a mattifier. And she goes, oh yeah, yeah. It's a, it's right there. It's.
You know, blah, blah, blah. So I snatched it up as quick as I could. And I was about to make a break for it. And then I saw the cologne thing. And we all know you can't resist a good cologne. What with your collection of 65 plus. Yes. Yep. One is your signature cologne that you. Yes. Made. Yeah. You're like a chemist. In Hawaii. Please let that go. In Hawaii. At a kiosk. It wasn't a kiosk. I'm sorry, it was a cart. It was a cart. Oh, okay. I beg you about that one. Some guys on vacation will go parasailing. Some guys will go scuba diving, snorkeling. They'll lay by the pool, have a couple cocktails or some lunch. Yes. Mike decided, I'm going to make cologne. And not only did Mike decide he was going to make cologne, he made it with... Frankincense. And myrrh.
Which, as you may know, that's what the three wise men brought to little baby Jesus when he was born. Yes, you did. I didn't make it with frankincense and myrrh. You named it M. Was there or was there not frankincense in there? There wasn't. Was there myrrh? No. There was one of them. There wasn't. Time. Do you want to know the story? Peggy and I got into a conversation about what frankincense is. Who's Peggy? Peggy was my... Lobologist. Oh, gosh. Hello, B. That looked. Lobologist. She's a lab. It's a lab. It's like a. Oh, now you're a scientist. She's like your Michael Kors at the resort. She's like your Calvin Klein. So she wore like all white and she had little like sticks for you to smell a different sense. Yes.
Anyway, so you appreciate a good cologne. So much, in fact, that you've made your own. Yes. I'm going to throw up. So I left, I left, and when I left, they put the stuff in a freaking pink bag that said Ulta, and I walked out of there. You got a new cologne. Did it match your skirt? When I walked out, judges give that one one and a quarter stars. Did you shove the bag in your bra? Did your boob fall out, Mike? Did your vagina fall off? So I walked out of there. I'm not kidding you. I felt like I had a box of tampons. I wrapped the bag until it fit in my hand. I've done it before. I was driving home and I thought to myself, I should tell guys about, and then I went, I can't. I should tell guys about, because if you have an oily face, this stuff.
Yeah, guys actually do care if they have an oily face. No, they don't. Yeah, they do, Jay. You don't have an oily face, so you don't know. I know guys, though. Not you guys, but I know guys. You know guys with oily faces? Sure do. Have you ever said to them, hey, oil-a-face? Hey, oil-a-face. How do you like that oil-a-face guy? Have you tried a metal fire? Yeah, you should give them a metal fire. It works. Have their wife buy it. Have their wife buy it. Oh, my face hurts. You should probably have your wife buy it too. Or just stick with the online. Yeah. Buy it online. I freaking hate you. I freaking. You bought a product in a purple box and went home in a pink bag. How many men were in there? Did your period sync up with the ladies that worked there? I was waiting for that. You synced, didn't you, while you were there? The ladies who worked there. Not one. And there's one fat Mexican with tattoos sleeving one arm. Hello. Hello. You silly sausage. Buying Mattifier. The slick gel. You look good. Oh, it hurts. Shut up. Gotta have a screw loose to go in for that sort of thing.

I'm Barbara Brooks, FM 94.9. KBZT San Diego. The Lincoln Financial Radio Station. This is The Mikey Show. I know. Mikey. Everybody freaks out about guns and stuff. I don't freak out about them because my brother, I grew up around them. My brother had them the whole time I was growing up, so I don't freak out about guns. I like them. Woods. I flooded an entire Hampton Inn. Lauren. I used to be really into the Grateful Dead. Fantastic. And like the knob chomp of. And Jay. I don't want to miss somebody calling this like, hey, let's go serve. Or let's go do something. Oh, Jay, shut up. This is the Mikey Show. Can you believe him? On FM 94.9. You know the guy Jack Nicholson played in The Departed? Yeah. Whitey Bulger. Whitey Bulger. You know how he just got taken down and stuff? Yeah. Well, they found out who took him down. Who? Who was the informant that got two million bucks for taking him down? It was Miss Iceland. What? 1974. What? Apparently lived by him. Holy cow. Yeah. And would see him going outside and feeding a stray cat.
And, you know, he's on America's Most Wanted. He was like one of the biggest FBI guys ever wanted. What is this? Who is this? Who is this? Is this Vitey? Vitey. And so, yeah. 19 homicides behind bars because of Miss Iceland. Wow. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, the Major League Baseball playoffs continued last night. Albert Pujols was phenomenal with four for five with five RBI. And the St. Louis Cardinals have tied the Milwaukee Brewers one game apiece in the best of seven series. And game three will take place in St. Louis on Wednesday at 8.05 Eastern. That is, what, 5.05 our time? And in the American League Championship Series, the Texas Rangers are rolling, man. They look to be steamrolling towards the World Series. Walk-off grand slam yesterday for Nelson Cruz in the 11th inning. They won 7-3 over the Tigers. And it looks like this could be Texas this year. I move away, they'll win. A NBA championship, the Super Bowl is there, and possibly a World Series. Yeah. Maybe. Bad luck charm. That's right. Perfect. I do not watch DWTS. Dancing with the Stars. You can put your mattifier on why you did it. And then your bra. Yep. And your panties, your thumb. Yep. And your panty liners. By the way, that's coming from the guy.
that likes to look at glee online. 100%. He's a gleek. He's a gleek. I am. It's true. He's a gleek. But I'd leave the mattifier to the ladies. Let's see. You don't have an oily face, bro. Don't I? No. My pop's on the line. Hi, Dad. How you doing, Mikey? Good. You didn't get to see Dancing with the Stars, huh? The game. There you go. Yeah, you forgot about it. Yeah. That's all right. It's okay. Well, I can play you a clip so that you know about Chaz Bono's review. In the true spirit of Rocky, no matter how many knocks you take, you keep coming back, you keep fighting, and you keep getting stronger. All right, carry on. Trying to figure out why I'm crying.
I watch you and somehow you get under my skin and you make me root for you. Just like Rocky Balboa did. He was such the underdog. And your true courage and the way you get out there. And you just... I was like, go, go! I'm identical to Rocky Balboa. I love that. That is something that is magical. And I think you have magic. I think it's a great night that your mom came to see you. And I think you did have magic. Stop calling attention to her. She's holding her. You're not the only one with tears in your eyes, Carrie Ann. Len? She's like, like Rocky, you're getting stronger. And I tell you, that was my singing moment. Yeah. That was my little X Factor moment. Yeah. Listen, it wasn't exactly a knockout performance, but it was your best dance to date. Dad feels that it's unfair for Chaz because Chaz cannot dance. And dad feels, you know, it's not fair that.
Guy goes out there and he can't dance very good, and yet he sticks around. Right, Dad? Yeah. Now, your favorite, though. Your favorite is J.R. Martinez. Well, yeah, him. Gosh, I can't think of him. Carson. Carson. I know you like Carson. And the solo girl. Han Solo. Yeah, the solo girl. How did she do? What is her name again? Hope Solo. Hope Solo. All right. Take a listen, Dad. Here's what happened with Hope Solo last night. Look at that beaming Bruno smile. We'll start with you. You're freaking great. Just back together again, making sweet music and being carried away. Who is that, Dad? Talking. Who's that guy? Well, I can't think of his name, but he's very dramatic. Bruno.
Oh, really? I don't know. I'm asking. Is it Bruno? Is it Len? I don't know who these people are, Dad. Oh, it's Bruno, I believe. Okay. For a very happy ending. You're so nice, Max. He's nice when you're nice. Because when you're nice, she's nice. I loved it. She's always nice. Whoever that guy is, he is always screaming. You're screaming at the top of your lungs. You do a wonderful job out there tonight. You make me want to be gay. Why are you screaming? I love what you do. I love what you do. Back in my country, when we would see somebody dance like this, we would take our shoe off and smack ourself in the face. Oh, my. When I would dance like this for my mother, she would take dough that she made for bread and beat me over a free day. Because she loved it so much. That's how much you love.
It made me smile the whole way through. There's something, you know, this show is about beating our expectations and sort of coming up with something that we aren't expecting, and that was exactly that. It was so refreshing to see you out there having fun. Oh, shut up! This was like watching a fried egg sitting in marinara sauce. And then you pop the yolk and the yolk go everywhere and you scream at the top of your lungs. I love gay people. I love a dancer. I love eggs. I love mama slapping me in the face. Thank you. All right, let's see if Glenn is still gnawing through his pencil for any reason. Well, let me just tell you the honest truth. I get frustrated, and I'll tell you why. Age? Well, probably a bit of age. What's frustrated? I can tell you. Dad, they liked Han Solo last night. They thought that she didn't. That's really good, you know, because I believe she's got one of the best instructors.
With Max, I think he's really a good dancer. Yeah. But I also thought, and I've only watched it twice, and I thought she was just a little bit too tight. She just wouldn't let go. That's probably her athletic background, but I really believe she's got it in her, and she's a good dancer, but we'll see as we go down the road. I'm really sorry I missed it now, because those comments were hilarious, and it really... That is true, Dad. Yeah. That is true. Well, thank you. Next week, we're going to have you watch this show. And if you do, great. If you don't, great. I'll play you clips no matter what. Yep. And it was great. It was great to talk to you about some Dancing with the Stars. I love you, Dad. I do. All right. Bye-bye. Bye. Good to know that. She was tight. Shut up, Jay. Shut up. That's all I heard. I couldn't have said it better myself. Let it go. Just let it pass. The moment passed. Just let your dad. I didn't want your dad on the phone when I was losing my mind. Restraint. Move on. I had to put a rope in my mouth. Ball gag. I had to chew on a wooden spoon. Had to just put it right on my mouth like this the whole time.
All I had to do when he said that was turn around and look at Jay and I was donezo. You guys are ridiculous. Woods had to get up. I had to get up and lay on the beanbag. Jay's face. He was so happy when my dad saw it. I think your dad knows what he's doing. No, he doesn't. I heard the wink in his eye. He didn't have a wink in his eye. He winked. I'm telling you. Jay will be the old man from Grumpy Old Men. Oh, yeah. The creepy old, old guy? Yes. All right, let's see if this is working yet. I don't know. I'm going to try. Let me see if this thing. No, perfect. Spaceship. Yeah, it just flew by. Carol Ann. Testing, one, two. Test, one, two. Test. Oh, come on. Aliens. Sounds kind of cool. It's our own studio, and people have to mess with stuff. Easy, Darth Vader. How does that happen? Hello, testing one, two, three, testing one, two, testing one, two, test. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Test one, two, test one, two. Test one, two, test one, two. Oh, you sunk my battle check. Darn it.
If somebody was on mushrooms and heard that, they're going to lose their mind. That was very trippy. If they were listening to us down at Occupy San Diego. You might have just blown some minds down at Occupy San Diego. What did you do to it? What the hell did you do to it? Nothing. We just turned it on. Move. Get out of the way. Tubby. Did you do that? Who knows? Oh, no. Did you do that? Who knows? What does it say? Audio failure. There's a line. There's a thing up there that says audio failure. KBZT. That's us. That's us. Who knows? Oh, boy. Who knows? Anyway, what I was going to do was let you know that there are times, first of all, you're familiar with studio announcers and stadium announcers.
What is he saying, Jay? Are we on the air? I don't think we're on the air. Oh, perfect. We're not on the air. Great. Okay. Hey, Chris, can you walk over to the other side and see if you can tell them? Jeremy, will you come over and show me how to use them? I don't think it's your fault. Yeah, I think it was just coincidental. It was. It's very coincidental. Unless you click the button that turned us off. Are we still on over there? Yeah. Okay. That was AT&T. But still, Jeremy, can you come over and show me how to work to harmonize? I don't think he can hear us. He can't hear you because we're not on the air. We're back on the air. We are? Yeah, we're back on. Are you sure? Yes, he said we're back on. We're back on. He just said he'd come over. Hi, are we back on the air? Yeah, you are. Oh, good, good. Thank you. I was about to just start closing. Thank you very much. So anyway, what I was going to say is that we're all familiar with the stadium announcer.
And the stadium announcer usually has to have a very big voice and a very happy voice. Correct? Yes. Well, there are times where maybe it would be better. Hey, here's Jeremy. What do I do, Jeremy? I got the thing on. I'll have you show me during the break. But listen to this. Maybe sometimes, even though you're a happy stadium announcer, you bring it down a notch. Ladies and gentlemen. Please stand and join in a moment of silence for the legendary Hall of Fame leader of the Oakland Raiders, Al Davis, who died yesterday at the age of 82. Who says it that way? Holy cow. Who died yesterday. Who had lung cancer and died yesterday. Took a dirt nap yesterday.
Ladies and gentlemen, rise for one of the most instrumental men in the National Football League. Over the course of the last two years, he suffered from cancer and died yesterday at the age of 82, leaving behind a widow. He finally succumbed to the disease, which is slowly eating away, and the tumor was mastitizing itself. We're going to miss that guy. By the time he had gone, it had mastocized to parts of his hip. So let's all stand and give our attention. Nah, that's still weird. In a spaceship. That's still weird. Maybe it's a pitch, though. The pitch? Is it the pitch? The size? The echo. Let me try it. Testing one, two. Testing one, two, three. Testing one, two. Testing one, two. Test, test, test, test. Wow. Wow. Test, test, test, test. Sounds like the wrong effect. Doesn't sound like a canyon. I think it was very broken. Ladies and gentlemen, the United States has been invaded by Martians. Martians have landed in Balboa. They're demanding the 163 become theirs. They're also asking for all Wendy's restaurants because of the new sea salt fry. Ladies and gentlemen, this
is not a test. This is not a test. It's also not a stadium. Test one, two. Test one, two. It's getting better. It's getting better. I have to admit. We're dialing in a stadium announcer. Ladies and gentlemen. No. Is that a canyon? No, it's a stadium. Does that sound like one? Just to my left ear. Let's see. You just push your buttons? No. You know what I mean? This is going to be good. Keep doing it. I'm going to have him continue. That sounds more normal. I'm going to have him continue, and I'm going to do my normal course of events. Okay. All right? Why don't you shower? Let's see. I'm going to tell you a little bit about what we were up to yesterday. For instance, Jay got into a debate.
with a couple of M1s when he said that if his animal became incontinent, he would have them put down. Yes. He went on to say that he had a dog that they had for 10 years that became incontinent. And it was very bad. Very bad. And in the end, they kept her outside. JVic. Plenty of shade. Plenty of water, plenty of food. Yes. Now, when he posted this on Facebook, he was labeled a monster. You posted it on Facebook? What did you put? What did you say? I said that we kept it outside, and then somebody said, monster 24-7. Where did you put it on? Your page? No, I put it on the page where the conversation had already started. The Facebook page. I didn't put this response on there, because dogs live outside. They were actually man-domesticated them. Wait a minute. Woods, are you telling me that we're to the point that if we keep a dog outside, we're a freaking monster? Pretty much. Are you kidding me? Not if you originally kept it out there and that's what they were used to, but if they were used to your bed and all that stuff and then you kick them to the curb, that's not fair. This dog never lived in my bed. Never lived in your house? Okay, hang on, hang on, hang on. I mean, we realize that there's...
human beings in the world that don't have a house. Do something about it. Once you bring them to your home and you take them on as your own, yeah, okay, you want to feed them, clothe them, give them a place to stay, then you're going to kick them out after 10 years? 90-pound dog. Yeah. Incontinent. Sad. In your house. Yeah, just kill it. Sad. No, kept it outside for two years. Kept her outside for two years. Wait a minute. She loved it. It's awful. Preferred it. All I have to go on is my dad. My dad, and the way I grew up, growing up, my dad ain't going to put up with a dog pooping all over the house. No way. My dad's moving the dog outside. Don't get a dog. Oh, okay. Don't get a dog. Don't get a dog. Hang on a minute. Listen, I don't like the smell of cat poop. You know what I don't have? A freaking cat. Do you take your dogs for a walk? No. You're supposed to. Don't get a dog. Don't get a dog. I don't need to. You've got seven dogs. I don't need to. You do need to. I've got a giant backyard. I don't need to walk them. They want to be walked. Did they tell you that? That's proper care. No, it's not. Proper care of a dog is proper care of a dog. Seven dogs in a huge backyard. Dude, you shouldn't have a dog. And I play with every one of my dogs every day. Yeah, we go out inside and play with our dog every day. But they're used to being able to walk and run around. Yeah, they can. They like to be walked around the neighborhood woods. I have a huge backyard. Massive. So do I, which has made a good bedroom for cotton. Well, this doesn't make sense to me. I mean, if a dog... Well, wait a minute.
Like I said yesterday, if a person's pooping in the house, if a person is pooping in the house... Dude, listen. It is their incontinent. A person and a dog are different in the fact that... You care more about the dog than a person. Well, that's true. But... The person, the dog didn't ask to be brought into your home. You decided to bring that person, that dog into your home. Maybe neither did dad. Maybe dad gets to the point where he's old and he needs a place to stay, so he moves in with me. He's not incontinent. He moves in, he's not incontinent. He gets to the point where I come home from work, and dad has, maybe dad has Alzheimer's he doesn't realize, and maybe dad has taken off his clothes, and there's actual doo-doo. Hang on, there's actual doo-doo around. What would any of us do? Well, I know what my wife did. My wife took care of her mother, who that was happening to. And when she got too ill, when she got too ill to do it, she put her in the hospital. Yes. In the hospital, where she eventually passed away. Right. Now, if there's no hospitals for doggies that are pooping in the house, then you can take them to the vet. Yeah, I guess. Which we did. We took her to the vet for up to $1,000. And they were like, gave us all these different medicines we tried. Nothing helped. I guess you could take them to the vet.
And they give him a room and you can go visit. No, that's not how it works. You decided that, hey, I want a dog. And when you buy the dog or when you get the dog or when you adopt the dog, that dog's yours. And you take care of it until it passes away. So what should I have done? I have a dog. Nothing. You shouldn't have done anything different. I mean, you shouldn't have done anything differently than what you did. But I'm a monster for keeping it outside. I didn't say you were a monster for keeping it outside. I just think that after 10 years, I thought you put her down. No, no. I thought you put her down. That's monstrous. And then in the end, we did have to put her down because she couldn't walk any longer. And that makes sense. That's humane. Right. I get that. That's humane. I get that. It's dogging. It's dogging. It's Rogaine. It's canine. I thought once she became in condi, it's like, hey, you know what? No, we kept her in the yard for two years, which was messy still. But you guys, I do think we've got to get past this point where we are making animals into people. They're not people. They're not. We have to think different of them than people. But we don't think it's okay for people to be sleeping outside either. Right. I mean, if we could, we'd take every person off the street and give them a home. That is correct. Just like we would with every dog. That is correct. But there are not, well, there are places where people are forced to have to sleep outdoors. That's not good. No. That ain't good at all. No. They have a choice, though.
They do have a choice. Who does? The people that have to sleep outdoors. These dogs don't have a say or a choice. We are their voice. These other people have a voice. They can go do something. Well, what about this, Woodsy? What's your opinion about this? You know, aren't we kind of messed up because we took them and domesticated them? 5,000 years ago? What do I have to do with that? All I know is the way it works now. That's the way it is now. Dogs are meant to be hunting and running around free. Okay. But that ain't the way it is. Yeah. That makes sense. I just have one question for Jay. Okay. What's Kep? You're dead. I kept him outside. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. You're dead. Look at him. He's rubbing his goatee. I was just thinking about something mean to say. He's rubbing his goatee. Oh, you're dead. He's never good. Oh, God. That's the new bit. Once he starts stroking that beard, you die. It's bad. That's how he thinks. We have an email that is going to blow your mind.

Like when I go to the dentist, it's palpable. Lauren. I'm more apt to listen to a specialist than a general practitioner. And Jay. You guys don't make homemade ice cream? Say what? On FM 94.9. We have an email coming up here in just a minute. That is spicy meatball. So get ready to call about it at 570-1949. We have somebody on the line that would like to talk to Jay. Go ahead. This is Uncle Jay. Yes, it is. Hi, Uncle Jay. Who's this? This is Wussy's dog. Oh, Senior Beans. Little Beansy. It is Senior Beans. Aw. What's going on, little fella? I never knew this. What's that?
I never knew this, that you hate me so much. No, I think you should be able to get outside. You get out of that prison you're living in. You've been locked away. But I love it here. I don't have a problem. I love my daddy. I love everything. You've been in the cage for so long, you wouldn't even understand freedom if it... Never been in a cage, ever. I don't live in cages. Cages are different sizes, and yours is the house and the yard that you were forced to live in. About 3,000 square feet. I get to run around the backyard. Yeah, there's a whole world out there with new smells and excitement. I take him on rides all the time. No, the car doesn't count because all that smells of is cigarettes and dip. He loves it. Wait a minute. P.O.Y. P.O.Y. P.O.Y. Yes? Why do you want to take me outside and shoot me? I would only shoot you if you were falling in pieces. If you were in bad shape and it couldn't be fixed. Oh, you mean bad shape like if I had a go poopoo? Nope. If you couldn't walk anymore. If you were having convulsions. Oh, no. And all the doctors said. What's convulsions? Now, let me tell you something. Are you saying that if I win a doo-doo? Yes. Isn't it true that you are wearing a T-shirt right now that says, you go doo-doo, you get the 22? No, it'd be more like a shotgun. Oh, Uncle, yeah. You are in a big trouble on the Facebooks.
I don't think so because it would be the humane thing to do. You know, Uncle Jay. There's nothing worse than a dog that's suffering. I am just a little Yorkie. When you keep them around just for you instead of for themselves, there's a sad, sad world. You know. Sometimes you've got to cut the cord. I always thought that you were the nice one on the Mikey Chum. No, I know. I'm the one who will make the hard decisions. You are what they call the heavy. I'm the heavy. So if you have to shoot me, you would wait until I go poop? Nope. What I would do is if you could not control yourself and then maybe you couldn't walk any longer, like if you didn't want to live outside or you were unhealthy. Like if you had the flu or something. No. If the doctor said that they could not... Isn't that just called a virus? I just have a virus and you're going to... What's a virus? A virus, you know, like the flu virus. I have the flu virus and you're going to chew me. No, it would have to be something that was serious, that you were suffering and there was no cure for. Every time if you was to get the diarrhea, if we was to chew, you're a macho. This is not fair, Uncle Ye. Every time he went and had, say, like, Mexican food or... That's right.
Something that didn't agree with his stomach. That's right. You should talk to the boss man and have him take you outside. He's outside all the time. No, outside the walls that are holding him in. Alcatraz. All I know. He's very happy. He doesn't know. All I know is that M1 Yennefer on the Facebook, she say she don't really think that you're a monster. And she was just adjuring with you. That's right. I wrote back, thank you. And that's not all you wrote. That is what I wrote. No, it is not. You wrote thank you, dot, dot, dot. Actually, it's four dots. Which is very different than thank you, dot. Thank you, dot, dot, dot, dot means. Love. No, Uncle Jay. Yes. It's a very passive aggressive. No, it was met with love. I almost wrote love, Jay. Unbelievable. I am going to start a movement. Bowel movement? Yes. And then hopefully you don't shoot me in the head. Occupy Woods' yard? Yeah. Occupy. To let people know, Uncle Jay hate me. I love you. Break out of that prison that's holding you. Oh, boy. You should go occupy Jay's yard. Yeah. He has no problem having as many dogs as possible. Come hang out with us. Thank you, Uncle Jay. You're welcome. Senior Beans.
Woodsy's dog. One of them. He's a sweet dog. One of them. He's a little angel. Someday he'll get to go on a walk. Oh, boy. 5-7-0. Woods hates animals outside of his yard. Duh, do I. Pass it on. You can take three at a time. You can't because they get upset. You decided to have seven. That's true. You shouldn't own a dog then. I don't. I own seven. That's right. You shouldn't. Listen to this email. It's not about me. Mikey, I consider you a stand-up guy, so I'm interested what you... would have done if you were single and on a date. I met a girl on Match.com. She told me on the first date that she had an STD. I don't want to say which kind, but I'm 33, never been married, and I honestly don't care. Because without getting too into it, I don't have to get it. At least according to her. Is that a deal breaker? M1 Coastal. Well, a couple things.
A, I think you do some research and make sure that what she's saying is correct. And if it is correct, then I don't think there's a problem. I mean, as long as you're not going to get it. Was that a fantasy STD? Somebody else has it and somebody else can't get it? I've never heard of that. There's one that girls can have and guys don't get. Don't get? Maybe. And maybe it's a situation where, well, you've got to wear protection. Yeah. Right. Which could be a big deal if you get married, because if you're married... It's one of the benefits of being married. You don't have to. But maybe if he gets it, it won't do anything. That's the bottom line on this whole deal. Well, I was going to say it depends on how much you like her. Well, that's part of it. It shows bad judgment that she put her cards out there on the first date. But that's so honest and direct. I think that's rad. It is kind of cool. Why not wait? She won't waste your time. Yeah. I don't know. Scary. Why not wait and see if the guy really likes you? And then if you're going to get physical and you tell him and he is still not in on you, then admit. Whoa, you break trust in that regard. Why? Wait a minute. You're saying you would wait until you're about to get. No, not right. I wouldn't be like, by the way, as I'm like taking my stuff off. No, but I would wait and see if I really like him. And if he really likes me, I wouldn't pop it out on the first date. But maybe because they were on match.com, they knew they were a good match. No. And they were like. You never know until you look in someone's eyes.
whether or not you're a good match. Well, if you're a good match, you're a good match. You know, hey, listen, I don't think you're a bad guy if you don't say something like that on a first date. I don't think you're a bad guy, but I do think that you're a bad guy if you don't say something, you know, pretty soon. You should have waited to see if you really liked him, if he really liked you, and then if he bailed after you told him. Well, what if they did? What if they did? They sat down, they were eating dinner, they looked at each other, and he's like, I'm all the way in, and she's looking at him going, I'm all the way in too, but I've got to tell you this. Yeah. I mean, it doesn't take long to know whether, hey, I'm in. Like, I see you. We've talked. I'm in on you. No matter what, it's going to shake somebody up a little bit. For sure. You know, but if you're getting along, everything's good, you really like them. You know. He didn't sound too shaken up. And like he said, I really don't care. No, he didn't care. He says he's never been married and he's 33. Which means he's probably still a virgin. Yep. Yes, maybe he is. He's waiting. He's saving it. Perhaps. Perhaps. I don't know. I think L.O.B. is being a little sarcastic. No, I'm saying he probably is. I guarantee you he's not. I would, you know, venture to guess that in this day and age he probably isn't. But, you know. Let's ask Chris.
Oh, Jay. The guy's sitting there. He's minding his own business. Chris, what's it like to be a friend? Let's ask Chris about a 33-year-old guy we've never met. Oh, my God. Poor Chris. Poor Chris. He has to take it because Jay's his boss. Well, yeah, and he works as hard as a guy can work. I mean, I'd understand it if the guy were just a complete... Not hard enough. If the guy put his feet up and was reading a book or something. He's just sitting there, just taking his time, not caring. Just twiddling on the guitar. That's right. Just not giving a care. But no. Poor little Chris. He just works his butt off. Guy was here the whole 28 hours. Yep. Sure was. Oh, yeah. Guess who else was? Yours truly. Well, yeah. You're on the show, Jed. Okay. Well, guess what? So's he. Hey, Mike. While I'm at it, let's ask L.O.B. what it's like to have an STD. That's right. Even though she don't. Doesn't she? Even though she don't. Hey, and let's say, and let's put it out there. Woods has herpes. Woods has herpes. Well, I have seen him break out on his lip. That's why you couldn't get a kid. That's right. Because she's got herpes. Hey, Mike, welcome to the world of AIDS. Right, Mike? Well, let's ask Mike. What's it like to not be able to meet a person in person and have to go on an internet? Yeah. What's that like?
And then, Mike, what must it feel like when you and that 8,000-pound car, and all it is is a bug, are driving over to her house, she gonna meet you for the first time, what's it like in your belly knowing she's about to meet an orca? What's that like? Are you trepidatious at all, Mike, when you're driving over? Are you sweating? I mean... Are you nervous? Do they have an 18-wheeler, they pulled away, and then there you were, standing behind it? Are you nervous, Mike? Yeah, Mike. Because any minute, she gonna find out. Mike, do you have to wear a bib for when the girls lose it when they see you? Excuse me, Mike. I'm talking to you. Mike. Go have an answer. All right, fine. I'll call you. Hi, Mike. It's me, Jay. Oh. Hey, listen, man. I was just calling because I want to talk to you about today's show. Okay. What's going on, Jay? Well, I hope I didn't hurt your friend. Doesn't sound like me.
What do you mean, Jay? Well, you know, I mean, sometimes I talk about, you know, your chubs and stuff, your fat rolls. Every once in a while, you know, I get... I know what you're saying. You don't have to keep going with it. Your fat rolls and your tub of love. Tub of love! Jay, I know. You don't have to... Your rubby-dubby, your tubby-tubby, your big fat gubby-gubbies. Your lubby-lubbies. Jay. I understand what you're trying to say. You know, Mike, like your boobies and your... Like, just a... Anyway, I just... I hope you understand. I'm just messing around, Mike. I do. I do know that. Let me tell you something. You bring up that dog crap again, and I'm going to cut you in your sleep. Sorry, Jay.
You heard me, tubby. Unless the fat's grown into your ears so much. Jay! Sorry, sorry. I was saying, I'll kill you. Jay, that is really out of line. Hey, Mike. Yes. Mike? Yes. Are you there? Yes, I'm here, Jay. I've been drinking. Hey, Mike. I've been here at dinner, and I was talking to Kim about... I said... Can you imagine what he must have, he being Mac, must have been like the first time he met? I bet, I told Kim, I bet he was sweating like Patrick Ewing after a double overtime killer in the Madison Square Garden when the AC went out. I don't even know who Patrick Ewing is. I got no idea. And Kim started laughing. She was laughing.
And Jasper, my son, came in and said, Daddy, what you doing? And then I told him and he started laughing. Wow, Jay, that's not very nice, isn't it? You make me get up so early. Jay, that's not nice. Am I? Yes. Well, he was laughing so hard. Me and my whole family. You don't have to rub it in. Good looking, smart, exercising. Yep. Successful family. I get it. I get it. You're very handsome and in shape. I get it. Thank you. Is that other me? That is other you, yes. Yeah, here I am. Hey. Hey, how you doing? How you doing? You sound real good today. You sound great. Thanks. I bet you look as good as you sound. You look as good as you sound. Oh, thanks, me. So, back to your flabby. Give it to him. Muffin top. Yep.
Spirit tire. Hallelujah. You don't have to go there. Blubbery butt. I get it. I get it. I get it. Overgrown fat. Preaching to the choir. Pillsbury dough boy. Marshmallow stay puff man. Michelin man. Dom DeLuise. Looking chubby. Chubby. Obese. I got it. Self. All right. Good job. Self. I'll see you in the morning times. Thank you. Thank you, Jay. That last one I'm really fond of. One last thing. One last thing before I go, Mike. I just want to know, how did you, I mean, this is the time of being, how did you get Rebecca? I mean, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. Don't hang up. Don't hang up. Don't hang up. You always hang up right when I ask this kind of question. You didn't even make the money when you first met her. How did you do it?
I know I'm talking to your answering machine, but I don't care. I'm drunk. I am drunk and a skunk, and I'm going to tell you everything I ever wanted to tell you. First thing I want to tell you is I always liked Eddie better than you. All right, that's the first thing. I'm just kidding, Mike. That was a joke. I like you better than Eddie. All right, but I like Sky better than you. Wow. Wow. He was on one. How did you get Rebecca? No, seriously. No, seriously. Well, we just got some breaking news, and I know I want you to try to contain your excitement, Michael. Who? Your best friend, Tim Tebow.
has been named the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos after much speculation. He's not my good friend, and that's a division foe. It's a division foe. I'm a big fan of Tim Tebow. Charger fan. After three, it's foe? Yeah, that's right. After three, it's foe. You're a big Tebow fan. Yes. Not as big as Tommy Bahama, but still TB-ish. Yeah, like Tim Tebow. T-bone. I like Tim Tebow, but I'm a Charger fan. Well, now you get to root for him because he is going to be the starting quarterback when they come back off a bye to play Miami on October 23rd. After much speculation, identical Dave Grohl, Kyle Orton is out. Tim Tebow is in. Wow. Yeah. How about that? Congratulations. It just happened. Congratulations. It just happened. I'm really happy for you. You don't have to be happy for me. It doesn't have anything to do with me. I'm really happy for you. Chances you pick him up for fantasy. I'm not. He would be the only guy that you haven't picked. I have two great quarterbacks. Just stop moving things around. I've not won a game. Maybe I want to win a game. Dave Castor, who is one of our sales guys here, was having lunch with him the other day at my appearance, and he goes, you know, I actually was looking at Mikey's transactions.
He went to John DeAngelo and goes, listen, next year we're charging a dollar for every move. You'd make $100 off that. I couldn't do the moves. I know. It doesn't matter. I'm 0 and 5. Would you still, knowing there was a dollar transaction fee, would you still do what you've done? Yes. Yeah. Used to be $3 at Clear Channel. Really? Whoa. Are you kidding me? Yeah. What would be your... nut at the end of the year. Keep your eyes on your own paper. What's your worst? That's my thing, my business. What's your worst? I don't know. Yes, you do. 600? I heard it was giant. People used to talk about it. I was like, Mikey makes so many trades. I do. It's hysterical. Jay even knew about it. Jay doesn't play for any football. I did. Russell was the Microsoft. We called him Microsoft. And he was the league commissioner. Yeah, I mean, I'm sure they funded every... They're still having parties from what I did. You were able to give some salary bumps over there. Yeah. Great. Now, thanks to you, they're going to jack it up to a dollar, maybe three dollars a trade. Perfect. Yeah, I think this is it. I'm done. This is the last year? Yeah, right. You won't be able to not play next year. Yeah, right. So,
Tell me what you think of this. Nancy Grace, they thought that they caught her on the microphone farting. Yes. And you'll catch the name. She mentions her dance partner at the very end of this clip. She blames him, but I can't tell what the name is. Neither can you. But let's take a listen to what she said. Hey, did you fart? Okay, well, listen. If you listen very quick to that clip. She names her dancing partner and says it was him. that actually did it. It wasn't me. And, you know, so that's the deal. So let's ask her. This is Nancy Grace. This is Nancy Grace. Tammy's Nancy Grace. We know that it's TV's Nancy Grace. We know that you're on TV, Nancy. Yes. We know that. Have you seen me? You've played the clips? Have I seen you play the clips? I said you've seen me and you've played the clips? Yes.
So, Mike, you're so quick to point the finger. Isn't it true you were once sent packing from a burrito house for farts? No, Nancy, actually. I was never, quote, sent packing from a burrito house for farts. Weren't you? No, I wasn't. What's a burrito house? What's a burrito house? You playing dumb, Mike? No, I'm not. I don't know what a burrito house is. What? A chili hut. A chili hut. You know what I mean. I don't know what you mean. Now I don't know what you mean. Chuck. Burrito hut. Now you're just saying things that sound Mexican. Listen, Mike. Fashion girl, I don't pass gas. All right. But I heard it there. I could hear you doing it. Speaking of gas, why don't you tell everyone how you used to stop and gas from ice cream trucks?
I did. I'd never. I didn't. I didn't. Monster. How dare you. I did it. I didn't. You're a creep, Mike. That is creepy. I didn't do that. Wow. It's awful. I didn't do any of that. No, you're making it all up. No, I didn't siphon anything from a burrito hut. How dare you? Except maybe burritos. I didn't siphon a FEMA airplane. I didn't siphon a Jeep or something. You know it, Mike. You know it. No, I didn't. Sounds a lot like you.
You're so rude. Oh, my God. Racist. You're trying to deflect the attention because you farted on national television. I heard something earlier. I heard Jay call in. Yep. Talking about you having fat in your ears or something. That was funny. Yeah. I like her. I like her. That's the best thing y'all have done. Thank you. On the show. Oh, really, Nancy Grace? You did it? I mean, you, you, of all people, Nancy, you want to make Mike fat jokes, is that it? Well, I'm saying you just want to make fat jokes because you want to make Mike fat jokes. Thank you. Well, it's interesting, Nancy Grace. Because there's somebody else on the Mikey show who thinks that Mike jokes are pretty funny from time to time. Very funny. Very funny. I don't know what. Really? I don't know what you're talking about. Really, Nancy Grace? I don't have time for this. I like her. I hate her. She's a sweet, sweet lady. How dare she? She's good. She's on point. On point. Dead on.
I didn't know you were so into siphoning in your earlier, younger days. Oh, boy. With it already. Siphoning. Siphoning stuff. Yesterday, L.O.B. was in Barnes & Noble and heard somebody say very loudly, Marco! Oh, boy. And so she instinctively said, Polo! And then realized that the person in the next aisle was actually a kid named Marco. Oh. Oh, God, L-O-B. Yeah. Of all places, I was in the parenting aisle looking for a book, not for me, for somebody else. You have something to tell us? No, I was buying a gift for somebody, and I went, just to be a smart aleck. And then the kid was playing with the blocks on the other side of the aisle.
Mama, why is she making fun of my name? I just tried to play with the blocks. Mama, you're making fun of me, Marco. Mama, why do you have to name me Marco? All the kids at school, all they say is polo, polo, polo. Every time someone looks for me, it's like a swimming pool game. It's as if we're in the deep end. Today, the blonde girl, as she say, From the parenting aisle, Apollo! Unbelievable. I said it, and I could hear it. The guy was too close to me, so he heard me, and he just went... Oh, God! That's mortifying. I'm such a jerk. Where is there still a Barnes & Noble? Over by, like, the Target and all that. Is there really? Yeah, it's great in there. Right by the Starbucks. I thought they were closing all those things. No, it was open. I love them. I love the smell of a fresh bookstore. So great. Plus, there's a little Starbucks in there. Sorry, Occupy.
So you can smell, you know, the coffee in there. Lauren, get your books at a garage sale. I know, I know. For God's sakes. Question. How come, listen, there's a few people, and it's just a couple. I mean, we have a lot of fans on the Facebook page, but a couple of people want, you know, they're kind of upset about the stuff with the... What is it? Occupy San Diego? I knew they would be. I want to talk to you. Call him. Listen, I will discuss this with you rationally. Please. We're not against it. We just don't know what to be for or against. Yes. Because it's just not clear. My deal is I'm a smart ass. That's what I do. That's what I get paid to do. And when I listen to a guy tell me how bad freaking corporations are, and then his girl's like, I hate him too, but I work for Subway and Domino's. Listen, I'm going to call you on that, just like everybody likes to call me on my stuff. You're going to get called for that. Just because you have to work for the evil empire doesn't mean you can't be against you. You don't have to. You don't have to. So you just starve to death and you're homeless? No. Because there's so many jobs out there. If you believe in your principles, if it's so important to you, why would you ever do that?
I'm sure the guys on the Death Star loved working for the Empire. Well, that's fictitious. It's the same thing. You're working for the Death Star. You know, I worked for the Evil Empire of Clear Channel, and I knew how bad they were, but I still worked for them. You know why? Why? Cha-ching. I had to put food on the table. That was not the only option, Jay. It was pretty much the only option in town at that point. It's called a monopoly at that point, when they take over almost all radio streams. You could have done something else. Yeah. I definitely want to jump ship and go work at a real job for a living. You worked on an oil rig. You were a grave digger. You were like everything in the book. So you don't have to work. You chose to work for radio. Yeah, there's so many jobs out there right now. And I think what they're protesting is all the bad stuff. The fact that you do have all these corporations. The unemployment rate is through the roof. But that's not what they're protesting. It is. I think it's a part of the whole thing. It is part of the whole thing. I think it's part of the whole thing. That's the problem. It's not clear. If we knew what exactly it stood for, I'd be able to get behind it. I think they're sick of it and they want change. They want to see some stuff for the people. That's what I want to know. What is occupying Wall Street and occupying City Hall and all that? We are unhappy. Do they expect people to come out and say, all right, I give up? You got us. That's what I want to know, what they're hoping to accomplish. It's a statement.
Call in. It's a statement because what they're saying is we are unhappy and this is what we're going to do. What they're doing is they're letting all the press, everybody's looking at it, everybody's focusing on it. It's like they're unhappy. What they're doing is going down and smoking marijuana and hanging out all day. I wish I could go get high and hang out at City Hall all day. I can't. I got bills to pay. And I want to read you one of the emails that I got because this guy was upset at me and I was like, dude, please, call in. I'll talk to you about it rationally. I want to. Tell me what I'm supposed to get behind, and I'll get behind it. But I really don't know what the resolution is and what the stance is. Yeah, and when I got a guy telling me that we don't need currency anymore, we can just use compassion, I'm calling BS on you, dude. I'm calling BS. So here's what the guy says. He says, here's the thing, Mikey. One of the best things about this Occupy movement is that they haven't taken an official stance yet. Again. One of the best things about this Occupy movement is that they haven't taken an official stance yet. Well, I don't under, and I'll keep reading, but I'm just going to go statement by statement. How's that a best thing? Why is that one of the best things that they haven't taken a stance? Wow. How brave. You don't have a stance. He says this prevents the a-holes that would try to squash civil, try to squash civil.
Decent. I think what he means is that we try to squash civil decency and frustration about our economy from attacking and discrediting them. So now all anyone can do is make fun of them for smoking pot? Well, of course you're going to... Well, first of all, like Wood says, we're comics. And if you go out there and it smells like Bonnaroo, you're going to make the... observation slash joke because that's what it kind of is a joke it's kind of a joke he says really come on dude use the voice that you've been given to support the little people well okay let me finish and then let me finish reading what he said and then i'll get to it he says the one percent would the one percent would have your job life and money any way they could in a heartbeat
You either get behind this movement now or you lose credibility every day you claim ignorance about it. You strike me as smarter than that, bro. Don't fall prey to the easy point of view and claim ignorance. Support what this country was founded on. Okay, well, let's go back. He says, use the voice you've been given to support the little people. Bro, we're all the little people. Nobody is against the banks and the billionaire CEOs ruining the country, which is what they've done. No one is. No one is for it. No one's for that. Nobody's for them. Yeah. Nobody's for rape. It's a moot point. Now, the fact that you're out there actually doing something about it and you're actually taking a stance, which, by the way, you say they're not taking a stance. But if you're taking a stance, you're like, hey.
You know, I guess it's just a way of expressing yourself. OK, fine. You know, my my bit with protesting is I've always thought that protesting is foolish, even though it's our right. It's our right to do it. And it is your right. You can do it. I've always thought it's foolish. Mainly the reason I think it's foolish for a couple of reasons. Number one. Usually people that get in large groups of protests have no idea what they're protesting, but they love to go out there and be a part of a group to protest. And the other issue that I have is that for the most part, no one even knows what you're talking about. LOB put it perfectly the other day. She says people have signs that they hold up that say, fight the, what was it? Shame on you. Shame on you. And this will not stand. Yeah, this will not stand and we won't stand. I remember that there were some people when we did work at Clear Channel, there was a company right by us that they were out there protesting every day for a long time. And I'm talking like six months. And they had signs like L.O.B. No one knew what it was about. Like you're out there holding up a sign and you don't even explain what I'm supposed to get behind here. And the truth is, is that you're right, bro. I'm a pretty bright dude. Even I don't get it.
Even I don't get it. Like, I know that it's essentially about Wall Street greed. We're all against Wall Street greed. But when you go out there and you actually talk to these folks, most of them, they don't get that. Hey, what's your name, man? John. John, I'm Steve. Nice to meet you. Tell me a little bit about what's going on down here today. This is, in fact, Occupy, one of the many around the country. around the world actually um we have significant numbers just for that fact and uh let's see m1 max from scripps ranch hey what's up guys how you doing pretty good what's going on um nothing man um i just wanted to call in maybe defend uh occupy san diego occupy wall street occupy boston um
You know, I'm a 22-year-old, and our generation, we're not seeing a lot of hope. And it's not so much the Wall Street greed. It's rather how corporations affect our government and affect our senators and politicians. And, for instance, I have a lot of friends. They have heavy debts and student loans, and we can't find jobs. And it's unfortunate because that wasn't the deal that we had. You know, they said you go to school and you get an education and you get these huge loans. you could have a job, and we can't even find work. So that's about the gist of it, what I've gotten from the Occupy movement. Well, let me ask you this, though. Let's say that a big corporation like, I don't know, Exxon, called you and they said, hey, man, all right, we want you. You in? We got a job for you. It's 40K a year. You get good benefits. You in. Are you in? I mean... I personally, I'm in. Well, yeah. I mean, that's the deal, too. It's like I got to listen to this guy going, I hate big corporations. I work for Domino's. I mean, come on, man. Like, if that's your ideal, that's like me coming out against dogfighting and I'm running a freaking dogfighting ring in my backyard. Because you need a job. Because I needed money. Because you need a job. I mean, what would people do to me if I did that? I mean, that's taking it to the extreme, though, Woodsy.
You know, dogfighting isn't the same as going and working for... No, okay, bad example, but that's something I'm passionate about. Okay, so let's take that thought to fruition. Let's say that we don't like big corporations. Let's say we wipe them off the face of the map. Then what? Then freaking what? I mean, that's what I find so foolish about this stuff. You know, and this is the fundamental difference in my mind between liberal politics and conservative politics. Liberal politics is S-G-N-T. It sounds good when you say it. It sounds really good when you go, big corporations and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, yeah, yeah, that sounds great. I can get behind that. Yeah, big corporations, they're ruining things. Yeah, that sounds right. Until you get rid of them and then you can't buy any freaking toilet paper. And then you're like, where the hell do we get toilet paper? I need some toilet paper. Where is Johnson & Johnson that made Charmin?
Well, somebody would step up, surely, and a mom-and-pop toilet paper company would pop out of the woodwork. Sounds great. Sounds great. Sounds great. There doesn't have to be anything wrong with the big corporation. I think it's some of the breaks that they've gotten and some of the political influences that some of the corporations have that gives people a bad name. And there's nothing wrong with an actual big corporation that can produce things for the masses as long as they're... socially conscious and stuff. Hey man, trips me out that politicians are allowed to take money from freaking Exxon. That freaks me out. That's part of the problem. No doubt. That's creepy. Phone lines blown up. Please call 5701-949. I want to talk to you about it. Occupy San Diego, please. I will hear you out. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Why don't you tell him the whole story? Time to wake up, sir. Call 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. Shut up! More of The Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. Your boy gets in the shower, and I have very little hair, and I have to condition, of course, because it smells so good, and it feels so good when you condition. Lauren. When I have to say smart things on the spot, I'm like. And Jay. Please grow up. On FM 94.9.
M1 Joe from San Diego. Are you there? Good morning, Mikey. Good morning, Joe. What do you think? Dude. Remember in Seattle, the riots with all the anarchists, and then they did it again in France, and then they did it again in West Germany and Germany? Yep. That's all these people are. They're a bunch of hot-smoking hippies, as Carpenter said. Yeah. And they've got to get rid of them, because all they're doing is they don't have an idea of what they're there for. They would rather smoke dope or do whatever than freaking actually go out and get a job. I mean, come on. An 18-year-old homeless kid? Forget about it. You've got a little reason you're homeless is because you got stuck in... something else. And now you're a cause. You're just fighting the cause. You don't even know what the cause is for. I think there's a lot of truth to it. I think there's a lot of truth to it. M1Evan from Oceanside. Good morning. Hi. I just wanted to chime in real quick. And I think what really needs to be looked at here is just the fundamental differences between ways about going about communication and transparency. And I think that is a central aspect of what's going on with
just the whole Occupy movement. Historically, when it comes to, I just feel that historically when it comes to politics or government, those sort of powers have been, especially here, have been held in like a domination model of communication and action rather than a partnership model that is based in transparency and open dialogue. What does that look like? Okay, so if you have like a domination model of either rule or communication, It's very, if you want to look at it as it's ruled in either fear or power, or if there is an issue that's brought up, it's squashed. Is that what we have? Is that what you believe we have? I feel that people are marginalized in the interest of... No, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Do you think we have what you just said? Yes.
I think aspects of our country and our government, especially when it comes to corporations, are based in that model. In the essence that corporations, in the long run, perpetuate alienation in the sense of... I don't understand. I'm being honest with you. I don't understand. I hear your words, but I don't understand. And I don't know if it's that maybe if you and I sat down for an hour... After an hour of loosening up, I'd get it. But I don't get it. And I don't think I'm alone. I don't understand what you're saying. And I can guarantee you this. All of the things that you're saying, most of the people hanging out at Occupy San Diego don't get or know or think. They're just out there. They're just out there. And I agree. And I agree. I agree.
I agree that when you have collective masses of people, that at a good amount of time, there's no cohesion. No. Especially... They're just there because they're there. They want to be a part of a big group. Well, especially, you know, when you look at the scale of across, you know, geographically, across the size of a country. I mean, just realistically, I mean, this is huge, you know? So, you know, what I'm saying and what I'm, you know, what I'm just bringing up... thought is that what a lot of people are asking for is more transparency. Transparency from who? Wait, wait, wait. Hang on. I lost $250,000 of my 401k three years ago. Okay. You know why? Because our economy went to poop. Yeah, because of how they were dealing and selling. Bro, bro, bro, bro. Wait, Evan. Wait, Evan. Do you realize that if they were so transparent that they showed you every single thing they did, you wouldn't have known any better? And the reason you wouldn't have known any better is because me and you, we're just dudes. That's all we are. No, I followed it. No, I would have known better. I would have sold what I had. I would have cashed out. And I would not be in the predicament that I'm in right now. I would have had the choice to stay in or get out instead of when I call people asking, how's this doing?
How's this doing? They don't tell you systematically what is going on, where they're putting money, where they're investing money. It is held behind doors. It's not out in the open, and they won't tell you. And the same people that did that on Wall Street now are advising people in our government. All right. Well, thank you for the call. Thank you, Evan. I appreciate it. Let's see. M1 Leo from Escondido. Hi there, Mikey. How are you? Good. Hey, I wanted to just comment on Occupy Wall Street. Like, I know that a lot of people think it's about, you know, pot smokers and not really a message behind it. But I think that all sorts of parties and groups have their fringe elements. Like, for example, the Tea Party, I think it's very similar to Occupy Wall Street in the sense that people are frustrated. They're sick. They're tired. I mean, they don't have jobs. Hey, Leo, don't you think that Occupy Wall Street, Occupy San Diego, and Occupy, you know, freaking Dubuque, don't you think that there are like a very small percentage of people that really get it and everybody else is just there to smoke weed? I do. I do. Me too. That's kind of my point. Yeah, we kind of, we agree. We agree.
570-1949. People making a lot of parallels between Occupy San Diego and the Tea Party. Yes. Which I don't see a whole ton of people, you know, waving their banners for the Tea Party either. Right. Not here. No. I agree. New release is next. The Mikey Show. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. Or text them. 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up.
