Mike, Woods, L‑O‑B, Jay, and Cross opened the show with the word‑of‑the‑day Plague to give away Foo Fighters tickets, then launched into a heated debate about whether marijuana impairs drivers after recounting the parking‑garage jumper case. They segued into the corn‑maze 911 call, joking about the couple’s Boston accent and the absurdity of calling for help with a newborn, while also mixing in James Spader impressions and a rapid‑fire recap of the ALCS/NLCS playoffs. The show featured classic bits like the toilet‑seat diversion argument, Jay’s “Scared Fat” weight jokes, and Mike’s heartfelt story about reuniting with his ex‑girlfriend Rebecca in a hotel after hitting rock bottom, ending with a round of Movie Plot Hot Potato.

A lot of cream. It does not work good. It's cream. It's probably my fault. I use a lot of cream. I do too. I like it. Yeah, it's good. I do too. We all use a lot of cream, except for Jay. He drinks his black. You know that. Why does everything taste good? It's got to be gross for you, right? It's not that bad. It isn't? Nah. Not a lot of fat and calories and half and half? Isn't it like half butter, half something? Half butter, half cream. Yeah, half butter, half milk. But for the amount that you're using, it's really not that bad. Unless you're me and Woods. Right, and we are using Splendor. Yeah, I use Splendor. My wife is a cream only. That's it. She didn't put any sweeteners. Oh, wow. Me too. You? Nope. No sweeteners, just cream. L-O-B. I gotta have it real sweet. Lots of cream, lots of sugar, pal. Tastes real nice. We watched, okay, so, well, there's a lot of things to tell you. Let me get this stuff out of the way so I could just start, we could, you know, have fun right away. I'm Mike, that's Woods, that's L-O-B, our producer's Jay, and our phone screener is Cross. It's Cross. Word of the day is Plague. When you hear me say that, Caller 9, you're going to the Foo Fighters. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah. We're going to talk baseball.
They know who that dude is that jumped out of the parking garage. Crazy. Yeah, they know who he is now. And when you hear it, it's going to freak you out when you find out who this dude is. Somewhat sad, mostly funny, a couple got lost in a corn maze in Massachusetts. But they're fine. I thought you said that a couple got lost in a corn maze. That is, in fact, what I said. That couldn't be. That is a true fact. Isn't corn and maze redundant? Yes. Yes, it is. You should call it a maze maze if you wanted to. You could call it that. You could call it that. But they did, in fact, get caught in a maze. Huh? I said they got caught in a maze. Huh? I'll tell you in a minute. Just be patient, please. It's like a mother. Grandson! No, it wasn't that. I'll tell you in the story who his grandson was. I'll tell you the whole thing.
Woods and I, since I saw the movie Pretty in Pink over the Mikey-thon, we've been doing a lot of James Spader imitations. A lot of his character. Yeah, his character. You guys like to do that. Go back and forth with movie quotes. That's right. Sometimes we'll incorporate L.O.B. by looking at her and going, oh, who's the good-looking blonde that you've got there? I had sex with her. Really? Yeah, I absolutely did. Did she grow up in La Jolla or New Jersey? She grew up in New Jersey. Okay, that's basically a toilet. You cannot date. That's true. The place is a toilet. You can't date her because she grew up in New Jersey, okay? Who the hell are you to tell me who I can date and who I can't? I'll tell you who I am. I'm the guy that owns New Jersey. That's fair enough. Why are you 17 years old and drinking 18-year-old scotch? The scotch is older than you are. It isn't just the scotch. It's the cigarette I've got in my hand. But we're in the hallway at school. All right. Are you ready? First of all, before anything, let's talk some baseball. Oh, man. I want to talk some baseball. It's been crazy, man. So last night, both series, the American League Championship Series and the National League Championship Series.
championship series. I'm going to just start calling them ALCS, NLCS. You guys get the point. So in the NLCS last night, close game. Brewers lose to the Cardinals 4-3. Friend of the Mikey Show, Mark Kotze, got the start and hit a homer, which is pretty cool to see. I was getting texts from his good friend and your good friend, my good friend, Dom Ruppetti, and was like, hey, Kotze just hit a bomb. It was really cool to see because we met him and he's a good dude. Kotze actually... bought an auction item to come and hang on the Mikey Show. Yeah, so hopefully they can make it to the World Series and do that. It'd be awesome to talk to him and come in and hang out with us. But he hit a bomb, but they couldn't get it done. Chris Carpenter was too tough. Albert Pujols is... White hot right now. And so Milwaukee's going to try to even the series today, and it's Randy Wolfe against Kyle Lowes. And then in the ALCS, it was the Rangers are red hot. They're probably on their way to the World Series. They will have to get through Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers today, but they're up 3-1 in the series. Nelson Cruz ended it again. He hit a grand slam the other day, walk off. Yesterday was another home run for him in the 11th. Wow. It's been a crazy series, but the Rangers look.
They look red hot. They looked red hot last year, though, but the Giants took care of them. But, man, these guys look like they can get through anybody. What is your prediction? It was a World Series. Texas Rangers win the World Series, unfortunately, because I'm not really rooting for them, even though I'm from there. Yeah, but that's who you think is going to be in the world. They've got the bullpen. They've got the lineup. They've got the starting pitching, and it looks like nobody can get through these cats. They come up with the big clutch hit every time. And it's been really exciting to see. And I can't hate on too many of those guys, but, boy, their fans turned into D-heads last year. Like what? Well, it was the Yankees-Rangers, and the Rangers beat the Yankees, so they were very mean to your friend. You didn't like that. There's actual audio of me last year during the playoffs. Screaming at the TV. Poor baby. It's tough, man. And your favorite team's losing, and you're just suffering like that, you know? No. And all your friends come out of the woodwork from Texas to write you personal messages. It's not nice. It's not nice of them to do. I hate them. Just leave you alone. Leave me be. Let's see. Okay, so here's the deal. That guy that jumped out of the parking garage at Occupy San Diego, it turns out that he was charged with vehicular manslaughter.
Because he was intoxicated and fleeing the scene of a crash June 7th in the death of somebody named Jamie Obiso. 53-year-old guy. And this was off Interstate 8. And it was six miles west of El Centro. And he was believed, this man, to have been under the influence of marijuana. At the time that this happened. That's right. The drug that I've heard a million times people say, you can drive stone, bro. You can even drive better, dude. How come you always got to be like hating on weed, bro? It's got medicinal purposes now. Because nobody ever runs over anybody when they're doing that on anything. Wait, wait, wait. Hang on, Jay. Oh, hang on. People kill people all the time on alcohol. That's right.
Weed doesn't kill people. People kill people. People make mistakes sober. It's not necessarily a cause and effect. Absolutely. The only point I'm making is that one thing I could never argue, because I'm not a weedologist. I'm being serious. Aren't you a weedologist, Mike? I'm not a weedientologist. Okay? You're a weedonium. No. I do not have my potterarium. What about your marijuanicas? Nope. Marijuanicas? Don't have it. I don't know that much about weed. I just know that I don't like legalizing stuff that's illegal. I do not. And if booze were illegal, I wouldn't be for making it legal. I wouldn't be. Even if I liked getting drunk. You do. I don't anymore. I can't. I know, but you like it a lot. Technically, I probably do. You like it too much. Too much. But here's the thing. Here's the deal. I do feel that it should be – if marijuana really helps people that are suffering from real issues, I'm for it. I really am. The problem is that I don't think that that's what it's mostly about. But one thing that I used to hear was that if you were under the influence of pot, you could drive that way and it doesn't really impair you.
I didn't have any evidence to the contrary. He heard it so much. And I heard it so much. And I don't know. So I would always just, every time somebody would say it, I'd be like, dang it. I wouldn't have an argument. I would say don't drive regardless. Don't do anything. Whether you're drinking, smoking, or if you're taking prescription pills of any sort. Yes. I would say don't drive. Yes. Don't operate heavy equipment. I agree. But see, a very, very clever diversionary tactic in the art of debate is to bring up other things instead of the point. So we're talking about pot, right? Okay. This happens a lot of times when we're arguing with our, with our boyfriend or husband or our girlfriend or wife. You may say to your husband, babe, I told you, please don't leave the seat down or leave the seat up. Please don't leave the seat up. I go in there. My butt falls through the toilet. And last night it hit water and I was mad. I was mad. Okay. And your husband goes, really? Well, how about the not telling me about the charges on the debit card that I've only asked about 900 times? And suddenly you're arguing about something different than the original point. Yeah, I don't like that. I do that. And both of them, by the way, may be legitimate points. Both may be legitimate. But the clever tactic there is that we took it from the point, which is I don't want to get my butt wet.
Can you please put the toilet seat down? That's the point. But somehow we got on me and my debit card and not telling you, which is also true. So again, the point is, is that I did not know that one could be inebriated when smoking weed and mess up when they're driving. I was under the impression that weed does not affect you when you're driving. I really was under that impression. And I'm being sincere. And the reason that I was under the impression is, A, I've been told that, and B, I didn't have any evidence of the contrary. Except now, this guy apparently killed himself because he knew he was going to be probably in a lot of trouble. They proved it. They knew it. And he was supposed to be going to court that day and instead jumped to his death out there where they're doing the Occupy San Diego. Saving us money. You mean by offing himself? Yeah. Well, that may be a true fact, albeit heartless. Someone's relative. I'll just say thank you. Somebody's son. Yeah. Well, I mean, either way, either way, that's the deal. Oh, my God. That is the deal. Now, okay, so this, and you can call us, 570-1949, Massachusetts. There is a, and you've seen these before, okay?
a big giant field of corn and they go through and they make a maze out of it. Now, I've never been into one, but I wouldn't go into one. No. And the reason I wouldn't go into one is because I know myself, I'm probably, it's going to take me forever. Yeah. I'm not. I'm not good at that stuff. Well, you ever see Children of the Corn? There's reason enough not to walk into a corn maze. Well, I know, but I'll feel like, oh, my God, I'd be so frustrated. You know, it'd be forever. I'd be stuck in there. And without an aerial view, how are you supposed to have any sort of tactical approach of how to get through the maze? There's really no, like, figure. It's just luck. Yeah, you're luck. And what are you, Hansel and Gretel? You're dropping breadcrumbs? A lot of times they give you, like, a map with clues. They do? Yeah, they'll give you a map with clues. Or you just know. No, you're going to make rights. And then when the rights don't work, you start making right and the left. That's actually good. 15 minutes. Yeah, you would. And if you did get lost, you could always just walk through the corner. Yeah, you run through the corner as fast as you can. Yeah, or cut it. Well, here's the deal. There was this couple in Massachusetts, and this is one of the biggest stories today because it went viral. They released the tapes of this couple. And when they did that...
It became viral. It's a 911 call. And this couple, they got a baby. And they go into a corn maze in Massachusetts. They get lost. And apparently, the maze runners, you know, the people that run this place, they shut down for the night. They're done. They split. And so here they are. They're lost. And they got a baby. They got to call 911. She has got the thickest Boston accent. It's very dark. And he's a wimp.
My husband's an alcoholic. What am I going to do? He's an alcoholic. He's drinking old Harper as we speak. You want me to have him help? Baby. Three weeks old. Okay. Baby's fine. Baby's fine. It's all good. Everything's good. Nothing went bad. Can I talk to your husband? Yes, please. Hold on. Hello? Sir, how old are you? I'm 42. You're 42. Okay. And you can't get your way out of a corn maze, huh? That's interesting. Hey, your wife drag you out to a corn maze? Yeah. Maybe you have some balls. Yeah, maybe say, let's go to Chuck E. Cheese. By the way, your kid's three weeks old, huh? Great parenting. Yeah, brilliant move. Just kind of reassure her that help is on the way. Just tell her to shut up. Okay, yeah. Okay. I can't believe I didn't send anybody to come to check on anybody. No, the people that run this. Okay. And it's still open up there? Okay. Yeah. Their fault, right? Yeah, it's their fault. I get it. They're the dummies. They're the ones that can't figure out how to get out of the mags, I guess. No, they closed it. They closed it? Yeah, they closed it. We're the only ones in here. Okay. Yeah, you know, the reason for that, sir, is most people make it out of there in four hours. You know, the average Joe. How much did you guys pay to get in today?
I thought that was a strange question. It is a strange question. Did you check it out for his weekend trip out there? He's just keeping him on the phone to calm him down. Oh. Yeah, that's a good thing. Yeah. It's nice. Keep conversation going. This was only like 15 bucks. What'd you have for dinner? Let me ask you a question there. You think this X-Factor's ever going to work out for Simon and Pauler? Pauler. What do you think about the Red Sox just crapping their pants this year? It's a shame, isn't it? Yeah, it's not really, but... Man, I'll tell you. $14.99, something like that. All right. Well, we're on the way, so you just stay on the line with me, okay? But just tell her there ain't somebody a right, all right? Don't let your wife freak out, okay? Hey, by the way... Since I have you here on the line, I saw this hilarious video the other day of a black guy in front of a Walmart on YouTube. You seen that one yet? I missed that one. You know, I tell you what. When we're done here, because it's all going to work out, let's exchange emails. I'll send it to you. It's hilarious. We don't have to. It'll make you laugh. It's really funny. Listen, I was supposed to stay home today and watch the Patriots game. I got dragged out to a con maze.
Yeah, I'm just saying, listen. All right, my wife breaks balls. Between me and you and the cornfield, I'm just trying to calm you down. I'm calm, but listen, I want to watch freaking Tom Brady, and I'm out here in the freaking corn maze, and guess where I got to go tomorrow? The freaking pumpkin patch. Hey. Okay? Don't yell at me, pal. I'm the one trying to calm you down. Are you married? Yes. Yeah, you got to go to the pumpkin patch, do all the pictures. No, I wouldn't accept that. I told you that at the beginning of the call. I told you. I tell my wife, get lost. We're going to do the Chucky Cheese. I'm watching the freaking Patriot Kid. I see lights over there at the place, but we can't get there. We're smacked right in the middle of the cornfield. Go ahead and scream out. Hello. Say hello, canine. Hello, canine. Say it again so he can eat because he can't see you. So say hello, canine. Canine. Oh, my. He's just messing with him at that. Hey, Simon says hello, canine. Hey. This time, like a Filipino lady over 40. Hop on one foot. Hello, canine! Yeah, keep doing it in the Filipino lady. Let me ask you a question. Are you playing a freaking joke on me? No, I'm trying to get you to hear the canine to hear you. So go, hello, canine. Hello, canine! All right, now pretend that you're like Jerry Seinfeld. Hello, canine!
That's good. That's good. That's the best Seinfeld I can do. That's all right. Hey, listen. Seinfeld on Broadway. Yeah. That's what you got to do. Hello, canine. Hello. I hear the dog. Yep. Say hello, canine. Hello, canine. I want you to sing it like an opera singer. All right? Say it like you're in the opera. Really? Yeah. Can you get it? You pitch a little higher. It's a dog. You want me to sing it higher? Higher if you can. Like that? Am I doing that right? That's better. That's better. Maybe the call should have gone like this. 911, can I help you? Yes, 911. 911. Oh, my goodness. We are in the middle of a corn maze right now. And I've got a baby. I've got a son. I've got... It's getting dark. Yeah. Well, why are you calling?
We're lost in the middle of a corn maze, and I don't know how I get out. All right, well, take it easy. Don't, you know, get too excited. We're going to send someone out there and try to help you crop or something. So you've got a baby out there. Is the baby safe? For now. Yeah. All right. You got anybody else with you? My husband's here. You say your husband's there? My husband, yes. Let me talk to him. Okay, here's Mark. Hey, good morning. This is Mark. Yeah, how are you doing, Mark? I'm all right. It's not morning, first of all. It's almost nighttime. Good evening. I'm scared to death. Can you get us out of here? Yeah, I'm going to try. But do me a favor, all right? Absolutely. Everything that I say to you, I want you to answer back. Thank you, sir. Do you understand that? Not really. All right. I'm going to say something to you when I do. Why is it important when you say something I got to say? Don't say anything. All right. Listen to me. When I say something to you, I want you to respond by saying, thank you, sir. Okay, fair enough. And if you don't do that, then I'm going to make it seem like you were robbing hippies or something. All right? So I want you to say, thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. Perfect. Robbing hippies. What kind of a moron goes out into a corn maze in the middle of the deal with you? Excuse me? Peter Pan? What did I just say to you? Thank you, sir. Thank you. We really need your help.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I'm trying to get back to town. You're a freaking idiot. What's the matter with you? Thank you, sir. Why would you ever take you and a grown adult into a corn maze? We thought it was a pumpkin patch. Thank you, sir. We thought it was a pumpkin patch. No, don't say anything else, but thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. Hey, you're a grown adult. What are you doing in a corn maze? I'm going to send somebody out there to help you. I just wanted you to know, Mark. Thank you, sir. That you're an idiot. Thank you, sir. Do you understand you are the biggest bull? You, sir. That I've ever met in my life. Thank you, sir. You're welcome. Send somebody out here, please. Tell him, say, babe. Yeah. My old lady says thanks, too, pal. Hey, I'm glad. Because we're going to send somebody out there to help you out. That sounds great. Let me tell you something before you go, bozo. Thank you, sir. You eat some Dumbo corn on your way out? I don't know what that is. Are you a doper? I'm not a doper.
What is Dumbo-Con? Say... What the hell is Dumbo-Con? Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. What the hell is Dumbo-Con? Really, Donkey Bong? What is Donkey Bong? Let me talk... You are. Let me talk to you. Do you mean Donkey Kong? I told you to... Thank you, sir. Do you mean Donkey Kong? No, that's not what I meant. I meant Donkey Bong, you doper. You freaking jack farm. Jack farm. Hello? There you go. They hung up on 9-1-1. They hung up on 9-1-1. You're not supposed to do that. Your wife dumped the gun. Man. Your wife thought it was over. Yeah. I'll tell you about this kid, CJ Center, in a minute. L.O. Boone. Wait till you see this kid, L.O. Boone. Oh, yeah. He's shredded. Now, let me ask you a question. How old is too young to be shredded? Have an eight pack. An eight. I mean. Shredded. And how old was he when he started? A couple of things that you need to know if you want to date a beautiful woman. Three things that are very important. Okay, there's probably a hundred things. I'm going to give you three. 570-1949. Or text them. 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up.

Robitussin, relief made simple. I'm Barbara Brooks, FM 94.9. I'm a pretty honest guy and I've been a pretty honest guy for many years. Woods. I'll never forget it as long as I live. It was some village in Africa. She had like 60 of those rings around her neck and just boobs hanging out. Lauren. You know what I think the scariest thing is about clowns? They don't say anything. Yeah, that's great. Even though they can talk. And Jay. Just a man trying to do the right thing. On FM 94.9. So the word of the day is plague. And when I say that between now and 10.
It's good for Foo Fighter tickets. Just keep this in mind. I could say that during commercials. I could say it at any time. So you've got to be listening for it. And then Caller 9, I'll give you the Foo Fighter tickets. Okay, so CJ Center is a little kid. And he is absolutely shredded for a kid. Let me play you the story. Who, other than Justin Bieber, perhaps, could get this kind of rock star welcome from the grade school set? It's a surprise appearance by their pint-sized celebrity trainer. Got a DVD out. Just 10 years old. That's right, just 10. CJ has motivated the 450 students at Hurd-Mixon Elementary School to get on their feet. But today's the first time they've ever met him in person, because this is how he's trained them. DVD. It's hard. It is. CJ Center is the workout kid, a pint-sized fitness guru whose videos promise to make kids everywhere into mini-gladiators like him. One, two, three. That's an eight-pack. Even though there are very few adults who could ever hope to have a six-pack like this. They show this 10-year-old stomach, and it is just pure muscle and just ripped abs. He puts me to shame.
How many of these do we have to do? Whenever you get tired. Okay. I'm tired now. He's been on the fitness kick for half his life. By the way, they were doing crunches there. And this woman who's doing this story, she doesn't look like any slouch. Right. And she's trying to do crunches. And he's just boom, boom, boom, boom, just crunching, crunching, crunching, crunch. He started at age five. CJ's parents say his self-discipline extends to his diet. So do you eat candy? Well, I eat candy, but I don't eat a lot. So a little bit, not a lot. Yes. What about junk food? I like eating fruits and vegetables. Hey, how's my core? CJ isn't the only kid fixated on getting lean and mean. While there's legitimate worry about obesity in American kids, there's also concern now about kids training and dieting like Olympic athletes. In my practice now, I've seen a... Doubling of injuries to young kids aged 10 or 9 or 8 with overuse injuries because they're doing more now. Dr. Gotland says a lot of this is due to the hours of practice for organized sports. But maybe it's also because all their heroes now look like CJ. I do it once a day. Once a day? Wow, the whole video? That's amazing. Last few weeks I've lost about 10 pounds. 10 pounds?
In a few weeks? I think it was three or four weeks. Were you heavier before? Chubbier? Yeah, I was not. Really? Yeah. I want to know what Jacef R. Isbell thinks. I think if that's what he's into, go for it. Okay, cool. Now, I kind of think that too, and it certainly is better than what I was like as a kid. Obese. And obesity with kids is an issue, a big issue. It's, in fact, such a big issue, it is the cause of our first lady. Now, the only resistance I heard in that whole thing was that, oh, yeah, in my practice, I see a bunch of kids coming in here now with more injuries, blah, blah, blah. Well, guess what, pal? According to my friend, Jay Safar Isbell, kids are going to hurt themselves. Anyway. It's a part of growing up like you just do. Right.
Now, I'm also not of the philosophy, let's give condoms to kids because they're going to have sex anyway. I'm not of that philosophy. However, if a kid is going to injure themselves, I don't know that I really have a problem with a kid injuring himself because he's exercising. Overuse injuries are a lot different than just falling down, scraping your knee. It means he's doing it too much, right? Oh, yeah. And can it stunt their growth? I've heard that. Oh, yeah. I've heard that that. Stunted that kid's growth great in the fact that he's got abs that other kids don't have. Right, but what if he ends up and he's 4'9"? You know what I mean? Now, why do we think he's not going to grow? Because he's exercising. He's not taking roids. Well, I've heard that if you lift a lot of weights. Now, this may be an aerobic thing where he's doing crunches and jumping jacks and stuff like that. But I've heard that if you lift a lot of weights when you're younger, it can stunt your growth. I want to know if anyone knows. 570-1949. If any M1s know. Because, admittedly, I don't know jack about this. I don't know if it's bad for a 10-year-old to work out to the point where he's got muscles, man. That's a little creepy to me. It is kind of creepy. I would talk to a doctor, and if the doctor says that it's too much, then I wouldn't subject my kid to it. I do believe he should spread out his interests. They should give him a wide array instead of just that, you know. Just working out. Just working out. Yeah, because you know that some people get addicted to it. Oh, yeah. Oh, for sure. I wish I was.
Me too. Gosh darn, I wish I could get addicted to that. I could if I just did it. Could you? Yeah, you get used to it. I just met a family and they've got three boys and the boys, most of them are homeschooled. So they surf and they skate and that's pretty much all they do. Somebody I know. But they're turning pro and they're traveling the world. I'm just like, man, what a great opportunity. Well, they have talent too. Yeah. You jealous, Jay? I am super jealous. I just thought, you know, first thing you do when you hear stories about kids is you go, well, what if that were my kid? Would I be all right with it? And I go, I don't think I'd really have a problem. I would. I would, too. But L.O.B., you said, well, if I would take him to the doctor. But guess what? I bet you one doctor says, because I don't think you'll find a doctor that will. Absolutely say, this is wrong. Don't do it. I think you would have a doctor. Well, I would send a couple opinions. And I would try to go to specialty, you know. Like the gymnast. Their little bodies. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, they do a lot more of the, it's like impact. You know. Like Carrie Scrogg, remember? Yes, we remember Carrie. She was 14. Yeah. And she would say, you know, that she started when she was like four. And you're also three feet tall, Carrie. Yeah.
And they never get their periods just because they're working out so hard that they never... That's actually true. That is actually true. All that testosterone's got to mess with growth and all that stuff. In 48, I've never had it. I wonder if it's different for guys. Tidious, Carrie. Thank you. Thanks, Jay, for bringing that up. Yeah, no problem. Now, that one got me a little bit, too. Got me pretty good. Let's see. M1 Gloria from San Diego. Are you there? Hi. How are you guys today? Very good. Terrific. Nice. to make a statement about obesity in the children and adults. Go ahead. Obesity and disease in this country. Dairy product. The cause of meat. Okay, wait, wait, wait. Meat and dairy. Dairy, chicken, any animal product. Yeah. Okay. So, if I understand this correctly, if we, that must mean that back in the day,
And by back in the day, I mean the pioneer days. Children were obese, right? Because that's what they were eating. So you're telling me that's why they, were they obese back then? That's right. Well, I know, but Gloria. Excuse me, there was no factory farming 100 years ago. I understand, and I agree with you, that is a true fact. But you're saying that obesity exists in children because of meat and dairy, and anything animal, which means that you're vegan. But that simply can't be true. That simply cannot be true, Gloria, because if it were true, that would mean that since the dawn of man, children were obese. I think... that the reason for childhood obesity may have more to do with fat and calories and food and junk food that we feed kids and sugar that we feed kids. I think it may have more to do with it than chicken. But animals are pumped with a lot more stuff than they used to be. Bigger is better than animals. Yeah, that is a true fact. But imagine if you were to get organic livestock, which you can.
She's saying that even if you get organic livestock, that's still beef and that that's bad. Yes. Is that correct, Gloria? Yes, there is. That's not a true fact. Eating what? Flesh. That's your personal preference. I mean, you know, it's kind of the definition of personal preference. By definition, it's personal preference. You don't eat meat and you don't eat flesh and chicken. Well, there are people that believe. because of the way our teeth are shaped and our gastrointestinal units that were not meant to eat meat. Well, there are also people that believe that the moon is made of cheese. Well, that's a lot different. You know what I'm saying? Those are children. These are adults that have done, like, no. Well, Jay, you and Ella B are both very healthy, and yet you both eat flesh. Yeah, I'm saying that there are theories to support what she's saying. It's a theory.
Thank you. In my opinion. Thank you, Gloria. Yes. Yes. But Gloria, Gloria, I believe that my overweightness, has much more to do with the massive amount of carbs that I eat. Massive, massive amounts. The massive amounts of fattening food. Massive. Perhaps the French fries that I had yesterday with Woods. Massive. I think that has to do with me being overweight.
You guys are not to eat again? Yes, Lauren, we do. Oh, my. Man. Honestly, I'm sure that's a contributing factor as well as... A contributing factor? Yes. Yeah, along with the other things that you're eating. Yes. You make a conscious choice. I've seen very... Wait, wait, wait. But I have to tell you, Gloria. I have to tell you this. And I say this respectfully. I have seen some very, very overweight people that were vegans. And I mean... Really? Fat. Yes, I have. Yes, I have. That's a lot of work. I do. I got you. Hey, Gloria, I appreciate you. I got to move on or people will start to roll their eyes into the back of their heads like a shark that's about to attack a seal. All right? I understand that, Gloria. I understand. But everybody isn't passionate about that particular deal. My wife is vegetarian, and to that I say feast. I am not. I like pork chops. I like pork chops. I think they taste good. I like chicken on the grill. I like chicken on the bone. I don't care when I hit a vein. Nice ribeye. I like a ribeye. A little ligament in there. I like a ligament. I chew on it. I like it. I like the bone. It tastes good in my stomach. The gristle. Yes.
Do you like the heart surgery? Yeah. It feels real good. I'm sorry, but, you know, your views, I understand. I appreciate. They're yours. You get to do that. And listen, I don't have a problem with it. I really, really don't. Yeah, we're not shoving ribeyes down anybody's throat here. Yeah. Each other. Not at all. Yeah, each other. Well, we both like them. But, you know, I've never understood it. I probably won't understand. But I don't need to. I don't understand you. I don't need to, though, you know? I just want to say one more thing before we get off the phone. Go ahead. Because I know that you research most of the things that you do. Yes? Just look at one video about factory farming in this country, and then you tell me if you're comfortable eating meat down to the bone. Oh, they're comfortable. They could care less. Yeah, they don't care. That's why I won't watch them. Listen, ma'am, my wife saw one movie. And it ruined everything for her. She will never eat meat again. And she'll never eat meat again. Now, me, on the other hand, I've seen the same thing, and I literally clean that bone off. Like, I slurp it right off of there. You know? No, no, no. No, you're not going to change them. No. They're happy in their fatitude. My wife is now a vegetarian. Did you know this? She has an aversion to meat and chicken. She will not eat it. If it's near her, she gets sick to her stomach.
Rebecca ever just had people liking comments and just turning vegan? Just trying to do what's right, trying to stay around for their kids? You eat chicken. Yes. You eat chicken, you eat pork chops, you eat bacon. I don't eat pork chops. You've eaten bacon. I've eaten bacon. Yeah. I've eaten bacon. Beef is a primary evil. Just because you have a beef with beef don't mean I have a beef with beef. It's the first thing they took my dad off when he had heart problems. That's it, man. Game over, man. It's game over. Everything is wrong for you. Every single thing. The air, the pencil you use. Yes, the lead in there. If you're going to abuse your bodies, at least rebuild it. Do a little working out. Thank you. Thank you. What did you guys have for lunch yesterday? Love sandwich? Bro sandwich? Bromance. Platter. Do you have some sausage? You silly sausage. Hot dogs. Don't tell them. In and out. Mikey, do not tell them. I'm not going to tell them. It was probably Wendy's because they love the French fries. It involved the French fries, that's for sure. Woods probably had a Frosty to go along with it. You and your big freaking mouth, Michael. Two days in a row. What do you mean two days in a row? You guys went for seafood. Some fried food yesterday. On Tuesday. You guys are just going to kill us. Fine, we did it. Okay. We went to Wendy's. Oh.
We each got a number one. No Frosties. And a number two. Mediums. Not largest because we're not pigs. Yeah, we're not pigs. I'm not a glutton. Okay, and I got lemonade because lemon's a fruit, okay? And I want to stay healthy. And I went home and got right into bed. So it was no harm, no fight. Hey, listen. You guys didn't even let the food digest? No. We got fries because that's a potato and those are vegetables. And we're trying to get our vegetables. Lettuce. There's lettuce and pickles on there. Yeah. You know, because we want veggies. Yeah, of course. Do you ever just stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself with no clothes on? Oh. Yeah, I'm actually pretty pleased with what I see. You can still see it? You have to look in a mirror, though, right? Except for my belly. I would like to lose my belly and a little bit of these chi-chis. But, you know. I'm sure going out to eat two days in a row and then sleeping right afterwards is really going to do it, Woods. I hate coming to work. You know that? Yeah, me too. I freaking hate coming to work. I just try to come in now. I hate it. My depression is leaving me. The meds are working. I'm feeling good. You sound great. Hi, this is Jason R. Isbell for Subtle Jokes. I'll tell you how it works, all right? Let's say you got a friend that struggles with weight. And by struggle, I mean he doesn't do crap about it. Okay, let's say you got a friend like that. The way you help Matt is you give him a joke every now and then like this.
You ever just look at yourself in the mirror? Fatty. I bet you can't see your D anymore, can you? Because you're fat. Mac, do you get it? Well, there ain't nothing to get. I didn't make a joke. I just came out and said you're fat. It's as subtle as a hammer. Can I take a picture of your feet to show you what they look like? No, you haven't seen them. No, that would be clever. That's clever. That would be clever. Hey, Mac, have you ever taken your shirt off? and seen your man breasts because they're fat. Hey, Mike, have you ever looked at yourself and just hated what you saw? Yeah, that's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. Very subtle. Mike, you ever been? Hey, Mike. Are you? You know how you've had... I got a new program. It's called Scared Fats. I'm going to scare you thin, Mike. All right? Mike, I'm here to scare you thin! It's going to be a lot of scaring. Mike, once you're gone, that's going to be my cause. I'll be like this. This is Jay Isbell, and I lost my friend to fat. All right? Nah. Listen here. If you don't want to lose your friends to fat, friends don't let friends go to Wendy's in the drive-thru. That's true. That's true. Did you go to the drive-thru, or did you guys sit down? No, he made his... This is Woods' bit. Remember what I said? Yeah, he goes like this. He goes...
Sit in there and be gentlemen. That's his bitch. Let's sit in there like gentlemen, okay? Did you? Yeah. Oh, man. Wow. Is there a lot of people in there? Yes. Yeah, there was. Really? A lot of teenagers. Yes. And elderly. Oh. Yep. There was. And you know what? I don't think that we should have to take the abuse. Typical fat guy. Why did I say it, Woods? I don't know. When you said fries, I went, damn it. We were in the clear. I didn't have to bring it up. You'll walk in and he'll look at you and go, what did you have for lunch yesterday? Why? Why? Why did you leave me alone? He put it in his blog. I already knew. I put it in my blog. I knew you guys did it. He did? Yes. What? How did he know? I just know you guys. It's the day that ended in Y. Did you see us? No. You following us? No. I don't have to. Did somebody rat us out? Somebody rat us out. We thought that it might happen. Did somebody rat us out? Jay, you don't just know. I do just know. No, you don't. It's a pretty good chance. Is it? The day ends in Y. That's a pretty good chance. Hey, Mike. I'm leaving you another message. This day I'm drunk. I was drunk. I'll tell you why.
I just had vodka. I had vodka with a lime. Delicious. That's the way I like it. You can't have that, man. You wish you could. Anyway, the reason I'm calling you is going to shock you. I actually love you. I'm calling because I love you. Now, this is going to hurt, but this is called scared fat. Mac, sitting down. I know you are. Either that or laying down. Mac? All right. Thank you, Jay. I do what I can. Take that into consideration. Will you? Will we? Yeah, will you? All right, I'm going to tell you how to get a beautiful woman if you're a dude. So don't leave. And then that little angel sitting over there through glass, his name is Chris. I wrote him an email this morning and I said, did I dream this? And the email said, did you tell me that yesterday? the new operating system came out for iPhones, and that today the feature that lets you take pictures comes out? And he wrote me back and said, no, but it's difficult to figure out. The way that you do it is you press the power button twice, a picture of a camera will come up, you press it and take the picture. And I instantly did it, and it worked. Guy's a problem solver. Guy is a problem solver. He's solution-oriented. He's badass. You guys are like Apple nerds together. Yes. In Apple heaven. That's right. A couple of Johnny Appleseeds. That is a true statement. I thought that this was encouraging. Despite the fact that America is a hyper-sexual culture, a lot of teens are postponing sex until their late teens are older, and when they do start, they're typically using some kind of birth control, a new federal study says. Overall.
57% of chicks and 58% of dudes between 15 and 19 said they had not had sexual intercourse according to a 2006 to 2010 National Survey of Family Growth. Now, I don't know if that survey proves that that's a true fact or that kids are lying more. I don't know. I hope it's the first. If you have any contact lenses, From a company called Cooper Vision. They are delivering San Diego's favorite restaurants. Great news for the Giants fan Brian Stowe, who was beaten by Dodger fans outside of Dodger Stadium. He was transferred from the hospital to a rehab facility after nearly seven months in the hospital. Now listen, he has got a long road ahead of him, but dude, he's out of the hospital and he is now going to be working on... learning things like walking again and things like that. But he is out of the hospital, and that is great. He is a father of two and seems to be a pretty good guy in the community as well. Also, it has been a mass exodus in Boston since the season ended, and I'm talking about professional baseball. Theo Epstein, who is the general manager that helped bring two World Series to Boston, is leaving. He is gone. He is signing with the Chicago Cubs to try to get...
Their curse broken. 1908 was the last time they won a World Series. And listen, if this guy can bring a World Series to Chicago and two to Boston, he can pretty much punch his ticket to the Hall of Fame. Sure. I mean, I think he ain't going to have the payroll that he had in Boston, that's for sure. But, you know, he had a five-year deal worth $20 million. That's a lot. That is a lot. Yep. Is this the song they play at the very end of Breakfast Club? No. No. It's not? Same band. Oh, my God. It scared the crap out of me. Holy cow. Right outside our window on the seventh floor right now, window washers just dropped down and scared L.O.B. and Woods so bad. Oh, yeah. Get a picture. My heart. My heart. Really? What do you mean, really? It's not like a clown come sneaking up behind you. Oh, you're so tough. You're so tough. How do you do it? How do you do it? How do you do it, Uncle Jay? You're so tough in every way, bro. Yeah. I wonder if they're fans of the Mikey show out there. No, they look like Jeff and Jerry listeners to me. That thing is bouncing around. I'm going to be sick to my stomach. There's no way I can do that. No chance. Bro, they wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe.
Oh, people fall. They do fall. Oh, people definitely fall. It doesn't happen very often. Not very often, but it still happens. God, I'm sick. Very rarely. I do not like heights that much. Pretty soon they're going to be level with us and we'll be able to watch them at work. Just looking in at you. Yeah. You see something real, real shiny outside your window. Well, I'm going to post the photograph on our Facebook page. Oh, my gosh. Oh, wow. Look at that. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Hey, video. Can you video it? Can you video it? Yeah, come and video it, Chris. Gosh, this guy is brave. His name is Tony? Can he see in here? No. He can't because we have a very thick tint. We're going to put this on our Facebook page. This guy is brave. He's out there by himself. You're not going to believe it. This guy is washing our windows. It is insane. He's bouncing all over the place, Jay. I just call that a Friday night. I've done it. Yeah, I call it every day. Y'all didn't know Isabel Productions actually cleans windows. I get Kim up there and Jasper. That's right. But we don't have a cage. They just use a harness and a clip. That's right. Like when he climbed Kilimanjaro. We use newspapers because, you know, it works the best. Saving money.
That was crazy. That was super crazy. What's his name? Hi, Tony. Is it Tony? Dude, that's a kick-ass job. I would do it. You would? Heck yeah. Oh, I'd be too scared. I'd be vomitous. I bet it pays good because it's dangerous. He's got a great technique. Oh my gosh, that guy is good. He's got a killer technique. Oh my gosh. Oh, wow. That guy wipes it up real good. You know, I don't like it when people like someone else. Stop it. I think you guys are clowns. I don't like when people talk about how other people are cool. I think it's definitely interesting. Jay, you don't always have to oppose us. Listen, Jay. Clearly I do. Listen, it is not every day that you see that. It's pretty interesting. It was cool, and it scared the crap out of me. I think my favorite part was Mikey saying that he would do that job. I would. Dude, in a second. Well, I mean, I wouldn't leave radio. I like radio, but I would go out there with that guy. That guy is cool. If you do not believe me, hook it up. Hook it up.
Hook a brother up. If I dated a guy that washed windows, I wouldn't stop asking him questions. I know. What would you ask? Every day. All the time. Do you ever get hit by a bird? Yeah. Have you ever almost thought you were going to fall? Let's interview Tony. Do you ever see people in the office? Yeah. I would ask him questions. He looks in, there's some CEO just... The secretary up against the desk. Exactly. Oh, now we're talking. Let's see. Okay, word of the day's plague. When you hear me say that between 9 and 10, call her 9. I'll give you Foo Fighter tickets. Boom. These are three keys to dating a beautiful woman. They are what you think they are. Number one, ka-dinky-dink. Got to have the confidence. Believe in yourself. You think you should be dating a beautiful woman. All right? You must think that. Half the battle. If you do not think that, you're done. You're sunk. You're sunk. Number two, interest. Listen to this. Listen very closely to what I'm about to tell you. You listen to her, Woods. Don't roll your eyes at me. Don't roll your eyes at me. Listen, if I'm courting somebody, I listen. That's right. That's what we're talking about. We're talking about the three keys to dating a beautiful woman. All right? You listen to her. Of course. Now, that's where I have always excelled because I'm actually interested. I'm actually interested. Oh, I'm interested.
Just so long as we get to the point and don't cuss. Yes. It's a true fact. Hey, you shouldn't give me any gas. I find you very fascinating. You do not. I don't care you. Not my storytelling. I find you fascinating. Not my storytelling. That's not true. That's every woman. And LOP just closed her eyes as if to say. How dare you? Somebody, it's never been made, that joke. And then, Woods, oh man, does this apply to Woods or not? The third thing, third key to dating a beautiful woman. Two chance, Mac? Detachment. 100. Don't make yourself too available. Oh man, it's so hard to do. Make her feel like she's got to work.
To get you. Dude, in my prime, I had to fight the urge to be like, should I call her? I mean, I just got her number. I just met her night. She's smoking out. I got to call her. I got to call her. And I had, you know, many friends and saw many movies and adopted many personas to help me not be the psycho little bee that I was. And then it becomes a little easier. That gets us the most. Oh, God, it works. It gets us the most. I may have told this story. But I was at Rebecca's condo, and I wanted her back so bad. She'd broken up with me, and I wanted her back in the worst way. And I'd already purchased a present for her before she broke up with me. And it was expensive. It was from Tiffany. And she broke up with me, and she let me know that we'd broken up and gotten back together many times, but that those days were finally over. She couldn't take it anymore and it was done. And there was something in it that I knew she, well, first of all, she'd never said that. Right. What we always did was break up, get back together, but we never acknowledged that we broke up and got back together. So she acknowledged it and said, it's not happening anymore.
And one thing I know about her is when she says something, she generally means it and she sticks by it. You know, she's like an emotional camel. She can go forever and forever. They all are. They're all emotional camels. And so I said, I would still like to give you this gift. And she said, no way. And I said, I have a gift for you. I'd really like to give you the gift. And she said, no way. So we got off the phone. And I went over there. Oh, boy. And she let me in. And I gave her this gift. And I said, listen, I'm not taking this back. It was meant for you. And I'm not keeping it. I'm not going to ever give it to anybody else. It's for you. And she said no. And I said, well, it's going to be this. This is what's going to happen. Either I'm leaving it here and you can throw it away when I leave. But the one thing that isn't happening is I'm not taking it with me. And she said, okay. And I got up. I walked to her door of her condo. And it was one thing. I looked back at her because I wanted one last look at her. Because I knew this is the last time I was ever going to see her. I wasn't ever going to see her again. And I wanted in my mind to remember her face. Because I knew.
That was it. And I left and I went back to the hotel I was living out of. I was living out of a hotel. Went back, got some beers, which I was supposed to be done with alcohol at that point again. And the next day, the cleaning lady. And I didn't answer the door because I put the do not disturb and I was about to call and complain. I'm like, this lady. And I got up, and I looked through the peephole, and guess who was standing on the other side of the door? Rebecca R. Esparza. In just a trench coat. And you guys did not have makeup sex. That is none of your business. We did. So yes. Yes. Creep. What a creep. I mean, this is such a sweet story. Sorry. Did you do it?
I know you did. Why wouldn't you? What hotel? What room, Mike? What kind of shower do they have? What color are the drapes? Do you take the pillowcase? I always used to take the pillowcase. Steal anything I could. Like a memorabilia. What about the bedpost? Was it something you could put handcuffs on? Did you smother? With burritos? With your weight? Is there any stains? Do you see any stains? It's hideous. It's hideous. It's hideous. It makes me feel dirty. It made me feel like I had hair on my tongue. Look at that grin on her face that she gets. Like what? What? I thought we were having a good time. I like to top Jay, you know? Well, you did. Yeah. Good move. Check. Check. So there it is, guys. So what happened? Was it all good? Oh, yeah. So I opened the door. I bet it was. Shot it. Gosh darn. I can't turn his mic off. He bounces right back.
Did you go to the engineers and say, make it so that he can have what he wants, but that he can't still control me? Yes. Is that true or not? Tell me if it isn't true. It isn't not true. It's not true? It isn't not true. It's not false. It's not false, Mike. What a creep. It's a creep. So what happened? I wasn't shocked. I was... Stunned. Stunned. And I was also, when I saw that it was her, I had to run and put the six pack of Budweiser. That's what I was drinking. I had to run and put the six pack of Budweiser in the, where you open up the Amar to put a TV, you know where the TV is. And I hit it behind the TV set. Oh my gosh. Because she would have freaked out. She may be finding that out now. For the first time. Maybe.
She was so pretty. Oh my goodness, I remember how pretty she was that day. And she had a very sort of embarrassed look, but it was a mixture of embarrassment and shy and that kind of stuff. And she came in, she sat on the bed, and I said, what's going on? And she didn't say anything. I remember she, there were just tears coming out of her eyes, but she wasn't saying anything. And, uh, and then finally, you know, she cried and cried and cried. And then she just said, I love you. That was it. That was it. Now that breakup, you know, when that breakup started, it was the Dallas night woods, the going away party at the house. One for the ages, pal. One for the ages.
But that's also the one that she broke up with me. Oh, I was there. Yeah, you were there. She broke up with me. Emotional camel. She didn't get back together with me. She did not get back together. And it lasted all the way from Dallas, me moving back to San Diego. I was making $6,000 a year. And I was living in a hotel. $6,000 a year? Yeah, because I'd gotten fired. $500 a month. Yeah. I was making a six-figure salary doing mornings in Dallas. I'd bought a house. Yeah, big house, nice house. I got fired with a house and a car payment. I still had another job because I was on the air in San Jose, but they fired me there for content on the air and had the FCC chasing me. And a woman in Monterey that was just on a mission to get me fined for the FCC.
Which is not her fault. You know who doesn't get? Yeah, you know who doesn't get that. Chasing them. It was my fault. It was me. It was the stuff I said. And the only job that I had was a voice track job recording my voice for Rock 105. And it paid $6,000 a year. Wow. She stuck with you. I was living in a hotel. And she came back to that hotel room and she said, I love you. I would have been putting down some Budweiser's, too. Oh, yeah. Living in a hotel making $6,000 a year. Oh, yeah. There'd be a lot of Budweiser's put down. It was a very rough time. That's a dark, dark time. At least she had a little angel of light. Hey, she loved me. Yeah. She loved me. I know the feeling. If a chick will love you when you make six grand a year, then... Yeah. She's in it for the long haul. She probably loves you. Listen to this. How about this one? Here's a doozy. Well... And I want you to comment, 570-1949. I'm going to read it, and then I want you to call 570-1949 at Mun Nation. Mikey, my wife and I have been married five months, and our physical relationship is good, but it could be better. We've had sex, and I thought it was great, but for some reason it seems like she's decided to scale things back a little. Now most of the time we only go as far as third base. Oh, wow. What the heck?
She said that she likes sex, but she thinks that we're much closer when we just fool around. Look at our over-sexed friend, Lauren, like, what kind of freak is that, chick? Yeah, what are we, in eighth grade? Maybe I changed things because I didn't want to say some stuff. Either way, she's laughing at me now. Right. Oh, Mike, you little pastor with your third base. No, it's actually more visual to me than sex. Yes. Oh, man. At least what I think third base of. Oh, yeah. Wonka, wonka. Why won't my wife have sex with me? Is it because I'm bad in the sack? Is it possible she's getting it on with someone else? Yes. M1 Jim. She's probably just tired. Put yourself in a position. You say, well, what would I do in that situation? That's the way that you think. Because one guy just goes, yes, he's definitely having sex with someone else. She's definitely having sex. She is. 570-1949. It's a doozy. And then we'll find out why Jay thinks that she's getting it on with someone else. It's M1 Jim. We'll be back. Go on FM 94.9.

And if you can't do that, just help me spread the word. I want you to be mean, but did that guy ever get back to us on Facebook and say that he'd do anything? No. No. Of course not. The guy that was, you know, he was being very mean. Very mean. What? There was a guy on Facebook, and he was being very mean, and he was talking about our opinions on Occupy San Diego. Because, you know, we had an opinion. And he was upset about it, and he was saying that we were worthless, and that we were... We should do something to help instead of masturbating to the sound of our own voices. Right. Which was fabulous. He was just mean, you know? He was just mean. And so I... I challenged him to help. Because that was his point. His point was that we should try to make a difference in the world. And so I challenged him to help us do that and to volunteer. And I meant it. I wasn't kidding. I meant it. I really meant it. I said, help us. We do some stuff. We need help. We're looking for volunteers. And if he had written back and he'd said, I'll take you up on that, I really would have done it.
Freaking bring it. I really would have done it. I would have been happy to, but he didn't. Of course not. Okay, listen. Here's the thing. This is an adult email. What can I tell you? It's very adult. It's an adult email. My wife and I have been married five months. Our physical relationship's good, but it could be better. We've had sex, and I thought it was great. But for some reason, it seems like she's decided to scale things back a little. Now, most of the time, we only go as far as third base. She said she likes sex, but she thinks that we're much closer when we just fool around. Why won't my wife have sex with me? Is it because I'm bad in the sack? Is it possible she's getting it on with someone else? M1 Jim. Okay. I believe that to have a very productive marriage, you got to give yourself to the other person. So that means I, as a guy, if my wife wants it. I got to give myself to her, even if I don't feel like it. And sometimes wives will want it when you don't because you're not feeling great or you're not feeling up to it. Jay just looked at me like, man, am I listening? Did I hear it? Hold on, I'm going to clear my ears up. Hold on. This is crazy talk from a lunatic. There's no time I don't want it. When don't you want it? Okay, fine. I will tell you, I'm a 41-year-old man. There's sometimes I don't feel like it, you know?
A hundred percent. I'm sorry. Ninety nine point nine nine percent of men would admit that except for Jay. Oh, you're out of your mind. Ninety nine percent. Really? Yeah. Sometimes you just. Sometimes you're not. Dude, sometimes you don't. Shut your mouth. You really. Why? Anytime. I can remember maybe one time. Oh. Ever. Where I was like... And you had just been in a fatal car accident, too. No, no. Fatal. You died. That's the only reason. I brought you back. For 20 minutes, he didn't have a pulse. Mike, I got hit. He is full of baloney. I got hit by a car. I am not full of baloney. My heart stopped. It stopped. I was dead. I could see myself. I was floating above myself. In the hospital room. And Kim ran in. She said, can we do it? One more time. I need it one more time, Jason. It's the only time I said it. It's the only time. That's it. And I thought for a fracture of a second, no, I don't want to. And then... Bing, bam, boom. And it was, I was all in. Okay. Full of it. Well, there are some, there are some men who every once in a while are not in the mood. Okay. If you're full, if you're tired. Yeah. More than some. Okay. And my feeling is, is that, man, listen, you're in this for the long haul. And our ladies, they nut it up for us a lot. Yeah. Okay.
And so we got to nut it up and we both have to. It's a relationship, you know, and it is equal. You do it for each other. That's my thought on it. Now, how you convince her of that is another story, because what you don't say to a wife. Well, this is the guys. The following things do not work on women when they're not giving you sex and you want it. What the F, man? What are you, frigid? What do you want me to do? Start getting it somewhere else? Oh, that's always a good one. Sarcastically? That's a good one. Gosh, man. Everybody said it was going to change. I guess they were right. That doesn't work. No. Doesn't work. But what I would like to do is I would like to ask our resident female, Lauren O'Brien. What would work, L.O.B.? Elleby's like, well, first of all, I'd never be in a position where I wouldn't want to be given it. Red wine would work. Yes, maybe that's the deal. Listen, it's more of a production for us than it is for you guys. She's right. Before and after, okay? She's right. Woods, she's right. Not the way I do it, Mike. I'm on a trapeze. No, it's not what she means.
No. And we're not going to go into it. No, I don't. We're not going to go into it. We're not going to go into it. But hang on. All right. Women have more to deal with than men do. Yes. Yes. And. That's true. And. Hallelujah. You guys can set it and forget it. Yes. We cannot. They can't. And so. And I don't want to take it any further than that. But. But what he could do. What he could do. Look sharp. Tell her how great she looks. Just romance her a little bit. And I think you should be a little vocal, that you feel like, I feel like you're not having sex with me because you're not attracted to me. Then you get the pity slay, and you don't want the pity slay, especially from your wife. No, you get her thinking about it. You get talking, man. Yeah. You get talking. I'd say get her a little inebriated, just a little bit. Well, that'll work one time, but every time you want to have sex, you can't get her drunk. She's not going to want to have a glass of wine sometimes at 8 o'clock on a Sunday morning.
If you can't talk her into the morning myth and you're not doing very good, she probably is sleeping with somebody else. How do you get to third and not take it all the way home, though? The production bit. But you're already in production at that point. No. Oh, absolutely. If third is what I think it is. Jay. Jay, there are times. That's what I'm thinking. Jay, Jay. That is not, quote, already in production. Oh. I'll explain later. Yes, yes. I mean, you're at that point, you're, you know, you're, I can't even say. Well, you know, the guy's more invested at that point. That's true. You know what I mean? Well, but she's getting invested. Yeah, she's got to be invested. Yeah, but it's more pain, your investment's more painful, I believe. I've been told. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. And let me say this. And I'm going to phrase this in a way that will be adult. Yet will make sense. And if you're afraid because you got little ears, turn the radio down for a minute. But see, for us fellas, there's always a conclusion. Okay, most of the time there's a conclusion. And women are like, happy birthday. Congratulations.
Good for you. So proud of you. So proud of you. That's wonderful. Now this has become my conclusion. Yes. Now I guess. I guess we're done. Guess the end, huh? Not necessarily. I can't stand him today. I mean, it's too much. He will not agree with you. It's too much. It's too much. He's getting under my skin and he knows it. And he's doing it on purpose. Yeah, he's doing it on purpose now. He's got under there and I'm going to needle him. Just make sure that they get a conclusion before you even start. No, it's not even that. Yeah, just make sure, Mike. Before you even start. Just make sure, you know what, Mike? You know, a man could. Yeah, I mean, unless you're like a little kid when you do it. Right. Like when you're 16. Right. I've never experienced that, Mike. What's that like? What's it like? to have your woman not pleased. Hiding the dialogue is best because it'll get her thinking. Unless she's heartless, she'll start to feel bad and be like, gosh, I don't want her to feel that way. That's pity, though. You don't want to pity slay your wife. But she should think about, like, okay, well, am I just lazy? Am I tired? Do I need to, you know? It's called marriage. Yeah, do I need to put out a little more, literally, to, like...
Make sure he's being, his needs are being met. Yeah. Of course. Of course. He's five months in? It's not pity, it's love. He's five months in? He's in for a long haul, pal. M1 Scott from San Diego? Go ahead. The problem is visually transmitted disease and really doesn't want to break the news to him. Oh, wow. That is a deep assumption, but very valid, I think. Just because she's not doesn't mean she's got an STD. She could. It's a possibility. It is a possibility, but it's not. Yeah, she doesn't want to break it to him. It doesn't seem the most likely. Maybe it wasn't active during Eric's part, you know. It's a great point. Scott is speaking like a man with experience. I guess so. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'm just kidding. Thank you. You guys know I love the TV show 48 Hour Mystery. Oh, yeah. And let me tell you something. There is one coming up.
that Woodsy, especially you, you're going to love. In fact, you may have heard of this guy, Johnny Goody. You may have, but he's from Big Deal in Austin, okay? Big player on 6th Street. There's always a search for the truth. There's a search for justice. This is, without a doubt, the most challenging. Okay. I don't know. I jump down the stairs and... There are people that are probably wondering why we're laughing over such a serious topic. Well, the reason is because that first clip just cut off there, and we didn't know what happened. Now, 48 Hours Mystery. The name of this one is Redemption Song. It's going to air Saturday, 10 o'clock at night, Channel 8.
Let me set it up for you, and then we're going to talk to Tracy Smith, who is a correspondent from 48 Hour Mystery. She does the story. So Johnny Goody, dude lives in Austin, sharp cat, right? Works 6th Street. That's where all the cool clubs are and all the cool music is and the Austin scene. And a lot of his inspiration came from his mom, Natalie, because she was pretty much a fixture on 6th Street herself. Until she was brutally beaten to death in 1985, which, by the way, he didn't talk a lot about it. Didn't talk a lot about it to his friends. For more than 20 years, her murder was unsolved. But then in 2006, there was a very bitter divorce. Won't tell you with who. But it produced a shocking tip that led investigators from Austin to Nashville.
And you get to look into this story. It's an exclusive interview with Johnny Goody. It's the only TV interview that he's ever done since being charged with his mother's brutal murder. On the phone with me right now, Tracy Smith, are you there? Hi, I'm here. This is a good one. Listen, I love this show. And I am in on they they never, ever, ever don't pay off. I mean, you can't watch a 48 hours mystery, get to the end of it and be like, oh, that was no fun. I mean, they take you on a ride. And this one, this one's got my interest.
Oh, good. Oh, I thought it says, okay, what I have, it says the exclusive interviews with Johnny Goody and the only TV interview with the man finally charged. Oh. Oh, man. Can you imagine? I mean, she's like babbling incoherently. Mom, mom, what happened to you? He doesn't know. 18 years later, she dies. And the police think they have a guy at the time. Wait, wait, wait. 18 days later. Did I say years, son? Yeah, it's okay. 18 days later, she dies. The police think that they have, there's a neighborhood guy who later is convicted of rape.
sketchy kind of guy. So they think, well, he probably did this too, and the case goes cold. They never charge him with Natalie's murder, but since he was already kind of a bad guy and he went to prison for this rape, they kind of figure, okay, we got him for that too. Then, as you said, you know, 20 years later, the police get this phone call from this woman who says, I think my husband had something to do with this. He told me he sinned against God and man, and I think he killed Natalie. And it blows the case wide open. It's great. Holy cow. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Is that just gnarly? Dude, and it's, for me, being from Dallas, I spent so much time down on 6th Street. I bet you I know some of the places you own. Oh, yeah, dude. Oh, you should definitely watch because it's all about the Austin music. Oh, it's so cool. And one of the things, you know, since, you know, I found out we were going to do this interview, I went online, I was looking at some stuff on Johnny, and I saw that, you know, obviously he's not in jail.
And so what I thought was is that he was charged, then evidence came out that I had all that wrong. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. But I did get to see some things on him on YouTube, and it's a very interesting story. I mean, this cat is, you know, he's been making music for a while, and he's big in the Austin scene. And apparently, understandably so, hasn't really wanted to. talk about it too much? I mean, is that fair to say? Oh, yeah, yeah. We sat down with his band members who were his closest friends and they said they'd never heard him talk about it. Oh, wow. He just, he didn't want that to define him, didn't want to discuss it. I feel like you can hear it in his music, like you can hear the pain in his music. But yeah, this is really the first time that he's talked at length about it. Tracy, when you do it, we're talking to Tracy Smith, by the way, who is a correspondent, not only for 48 Hours Mystery, but also for CBS News Sunday morning. But Tracy, how much time during the making of this story, how much time did you spend with him? Quite a bit. We were in and out of Austin for weeks at a time. I think I was down in Austin maybe for a total of three weeks if you added all the trips together. Then did it take a while?
for you to sort of break through the wall? Or, you know, was he very sort of closed off talking in the beginning? I think at first he was a little wary. You know, he's an incredible guy. He really doesn't want to in any way, you know, profit off his mom's death. You know what I mean? Seem like he's promoting it. Nothing like that. He just isn't into that at all. And so it took him a while to kind of warm to us and see that we really just wanted to tell his story. Why now, you think? Why is he talking about it now? he finally has closure, which I don't want to tell you anymore. You have to watch. But I think he feels he owes it to the people who finally came forward 25 years later. Speak out and say how thankful he is. She meant a lot to him. His mom meant a lot to him. He's a single mom, only child. They were super, super, super close.
Yeah. And you can look for him. I mean, if you want, you can look for him online. You can find him singing, see his music in Austin. His name is Johnny Goody. It's spelled G-O-U-D-I-E. And he's a pretty good musician and an incredible story. And I can't, you know, we've done these a few times where we'll talk to people, you know, with 48 Hours Mystery and we'll hear these stories and stuff. This one got me. Hearing about this one, I was like, oh, this is going to be good. I mean, I know this one's going to be good. Yeah, there's some interesting turns in there. And just that Johnny, 25 years later, isn't angry with these people who sat on this information for that long is amazing to me. And that's the other thing. I guess it took a divorce and somebody to be angry at somebody to turn them in, even though they knew that that information could have really helped. relieve the hearts of a family, but... And here's the thing. She's not the only one that he allegedly confessed to. Really? Oh, I gotta see this. I'm all the way in. Yeah, I want to see it. I want to see it real bad. But I gotta say, his defense has a really strong argument, too. So there are a lot of twists and turns in this. This is one of my favorite shows. I know. It's so good. Tracy, thank you for coming on with us. Tracy Smith from 48 Hours Mystery. The episode is called Redemption Song.
And it's this Saturday night at 10 o'clock. Thank you, Tracy. Thank you. Have a great day. You got it. She's good. She's very good. The mystery will continue in 90 seconds. It's such a good Friday night thing to watch. It's kind of spooky. Yeah, you're like, let's get some pizza and watch. Saturday. Saturday. Saturday at 10. It's okay. Feast, feast, feast. Saturday at 10. So. A guy hacked into Scarlett Johansson's phone and got naked photos of her. What? Thank you. Oh, wouldn't say yes to that. Especially because, you know, now he's in a lot of trouble, FBI. And we'll tell you all about it. I always have to look my sexiest. That's why I'm wearing these tight size 42 pens. Be a part of the show.

This is the place to be. These days, you see a lot of Boar's Head wannabes, brands of cold cuts that say, well, they're sort of, kind of, almost as good as Boar's Head. Truth is, they're not even close. Being Boar's Head means using only the best cuts of meat and the highest quality artisan cheese. These cost money, and wannabes won't spend it. Being Boar's Head means never using scraps or artificial colors, never cutting corners to save a few cents, never making compromises. Being Boar's Head also means only offering our products to stores that we trust will handle and serve them well. These stores want to stand for the best, and they know you can't be a first-rate store and sell second-rate cold cuts. So it's no surprise that the highest quality grocery stores and independent markets in America carry Boar's Head instead of the wannabes. What brand of cold cuts does your store sell? Boar's Head. Compromise elsewhere. Try a slice of Boar's Head premium deli meats and cheeses in select supermarkets, gourmet stores, and fine eateries. This guy was married to, or is married to, I think he was married to Kate Hudson. Yeah, the singer for Space Hog. He's married to somebody famous. No, she was married to the guy from Black Crowes. And now the Muse guy. Does she ever date musicians? And athletes. And Alex Rodriguez. This guy's married to somebody famous. Oh, Liv Tyler. There you go. Almost like Kate Hudson. If I were a celebrity, I would be like the plague to women in Hollywood. I would be the equivalent of Jason Alexander from the show Seinfeld. Well, how so?
Well, in the real world, humor works. In the world of Hollywood, it does not. Doesn't it? Nah. Well, perhaps it does if you're talking about the girl that works down at the bank, but it doesn't work on women in Hollywood. Right. That are actresses themselves. So like a John Candy type is not going to get like a Jennifer Aniston. Liv Tyler. Liv Tyler, yeah. The rock and roll guy, even, I mean, Space Dog, they have one big hit. They will. I mean, he got Liv Tyler. Right. And always will. Amazing what a guitar will do in your hands. That is true. I am Mikey. That is Woodsy. That is L-O-B. That is Jay. Our phone screener is Cross. And that's Tony. That is Tony. That's Tony. Resident window washer. He's a window washer, and he is coming down for a second pass. I could watch it all day. Yep. Peeping Tom. That's right. Peeping Tony. Peeping Tony. I would love to interview him. I would love to do a ride-along.
on the window washing apparatus. I could do like one floor and then I'd be like, okay, get me down. If there's any window washers out there that could get me a ride along, I'll sign whatever I got to sign. But I would love it. And we'll get audio of it. Yes. Put the uniform on. That's right. Just jump on. How you doing? I'm Mike. I'm starting today. They didn't tell you? Yeah. They didn't call you? I'm starting today. Yeah, today's my day. My first day. Oh, no, that's James. Oh, James. Different guy. M1 Christian, are you there from San Diego? Yes, I am. Christian, what was the word of the day? You're going to see the Foo Fighters. Thank you, guys. Appreciate that. Are you at work? Yes, I am. Keeping your voice down there, right? Got to keep your voice down? Not really. I'm actually a collector, so. You can't get too excited, though. I mean, that's the thing. You can't get too worked up because the people around you would know, right? Yes. That is correct. I thought that was, in fact, the deal. Hang on the line. You're going to see the Foo Fighters. Scojo. Is that what they call her? ScarJo. ScarJo. ScarJo. Scarlett Johansson. The guy that illegally hacked into her and Mila Kunis' email and leaking some saucy photos of them has been released from federal custody on $10,000 bail. Wow. Is it worth it?
No, I don't think it was. His name is Christopher Cheney. He was arrested on Wednesday morning and charged with 25 counts of identity theft. Had to go in front of a Florida judge a few hours later and was banned from using any computer device that has the internet. I wonder if he got money for those photos. I wonder. I wonder. What a creep. What a creep. You know who that doesn't happen to? Yeah. People that don't hack into websites. You know who isn't embarrassed? Oh, you mean the people that don't... There's nothing wrong with doing photos like that. Yeah, I don't think that they're... You're not putting them out in the public. If they're your own private business. Aren't you? And it isn't illegal. No, it's not illegal, but you can save yourself some embarrassment. Oh, there's nothing wrong with it. Well, if you're going to email it, you have to consider that there is some risk that's involved in that. Yes.
That's all I'm saying. It was probably through, like, text message. It was probably, like, a picture message. It says he hacked into her email. Yeah. I don't know. Webcam photos, maybe. I haven't seen the ScarJo yet. I have seen the Katy Perry. I've seen the ScarJo. She definitely used a phone. I've seen the Katy. I still have the Katy Perry. Yeah. I keep that on my phone. I've texted it to multiple friends. Yeah, I guess that's day two in a row that you mentioned it. Yeah. It's high quality. It is nice, isn't it? It looks... Like fake. No. No. It's the last thing it looks. No, I just, I mean, I'm not saying that the boobs look fake. I'm saying it looks like her head is super impressed. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's that little angel. You sound proud of it. You have definitely studied it. I've glanced it a few times. Don't hurt you. Everybody's got them. I had the ScarJo one on my phone. I was afraid I was going to get... FBI or something? Yeah. You had the ScarJo one on your phone? I did have it, yeah. Somebody hacked in there. They'd think that you were up to something. I know. Pervert. You pervo? I was showing it to my boyfriend. Oh, wow. That's a good girlfriend. You were showing it to your boyfriend? Yeah. That surprises me. Do a little butt comparison? Maybe. News and sports. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? I've got an explanation for you, my friend Mike, about the gentleman that threw the hot dog at Tiger Woods. Oh, yeah. So they asked him, the police asked him, all right, Brandon Kelly of Petaluma.
Why did you throw a hot dog at Tiger Woods when he was on the green putting? He said he wanted to do something, quote, courageous and epic. Oh, boy. He said he is, in fact, a fan of Tiger Woods. But he got the idea after watching a movie called Drive. It's got Ryan Gosling as a stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver. And he says, I threw the hot dog towards Tiger. I was inspired by the movie Drive. As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself. I've got to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger. Wow. That's a guy that sounds like he may be mad. Yeah. Yes. We interrupt this broadcast. This is Sean Bruko from NBC News in New York. And we interrupt this broadcast and bring to you live headlines from Mikey's Facebook. M1 Monique says, I'm supposed to have surgery today. But I have a bad cold. I'm getting better. So I think I'll make dinner tonight and make the family happy. A good woman. Perfect, Tom. M1 Josh writes, F fiberglass, dot, dot, dot. Once again, this is Strongbrook, NBC Nightly News, New York.
And you are listening to Facebook headlines. M1 Tori says, I guess it's time to invest in an umbrella. Did I somehow get transported to Seattle? If so, where's McSteamy? And finally, M1 Jen says, is anyone else having terrible allergies today? Guessing it is due to the Santa Anas. I love it. Genius. I'm sorry. One more breaking news story coming in. M1 Nikki says, I can't believe it's been two years. I will never get tired of my darling calling me Pooh Bear. I'm Tom Brickle, NBC Nightly News New York, with Facebook Head Boys. Oh, wow. Oh, boy. Gosh, hard hitting. Hard hitting. Yeah, Pooh Bear. Pooh Bear. Pooh Bear.
I love this read stuff that people write. In fact, man, I could not disagree with Charles Barkley more. A couple people have been calling me saying they've been tweeting me. Let me say this for the 100th time. I don't tweet. I do not tweet. Tweet is for losers. Oh, boy. And what I mean by that, if you wake up in the morning and you're worried about what I'm doing, you're a damn idiot. You are a damn idiot. Listen, Charles, I'm going to take it a step further, okay? Just to be clear. If someone wakes up in the morning and they are, quote, worried about what you are doing, not only are they an idiot, but they're paranoid, delusional, and probably off their rocker.
However, to wake up in the morning and be curious what you're doing is very human, in my opinion. I am, and I think we all, well, many of us are voyeurs by nature. And we are interested in our fellow humans. We want to know what they're doing. That's all. Listen, if Woods... tweets that he just got himself a fresh DP and a slice of pizza. I can't tell you why that's interesting. It simply is. I don't know. I'll tell you. Maybe I imagine it in my head. I'm like, oh, that's what he's doing right now. I got a window into what somebody and I it doesn't matter if it's a celebrity to me. If I read that a friend of mine is picking up two by fours.
I now know something I didn't know about them. And I'm a little curious. I'm like, what are you up to? Well, Charles Barkley is also the gentleman who was pulled over drunk by Scottsdale police. And when they asked him, where are you going, Charles? He said, I'm going to get a BJ. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was going. That's right. He was drunk. And he was. Yeah, he was going to get oral sex from a woman. He's just an interesting character. I mean, but I don't I don't like the everyday stuff. I do. I don't. I'm curious. If you're just telling me you're going to get two-by-fours, I believe you're wasting internet space and my brain power. Well, that was on my part a little bit of hyperbole because most people don't put I'm getting two-by-fours. They don't. They usually give you a little bit more. Yeah, I have wood is what I wrote. You get it because of two-by-four. Even Chris looked around. Chris looked around. Shook his head. You know, completely confused. And then, and the confusion said, oh, I genuinely don't understand. And then it hit him like, oh. Wood. These are deep. Wood. Jay is being. Now I would chuckle at that, which I would say, thank you. Because you just gave me a little laugh that I didn't know I was going to get. So you don't like the pot roast for dinner? No. I like on Twitter.
I like the really quick little, either informative or funny, because I'm like, thank you. What'd you have for dinner last night? Just gave me a slice. Baked ziti. Anything different about it? Whole wheat pasta. Freaking interesting. Boom. If you put that on Twitter, I would go, weird. Yeah, me too. I'd laugh. Yeah. I want it. That's why it's popular, by the way. But can't... It has to have a punchline to me. It has to. That is the punchline. It's not a punchline. The fact that you're having whole wheat pasta for dinner is the punchline. If I wrote, at Wendy's, getting a triple, you would go, weird. It's in the information. See, it's the reason that sitcoms are successful. We're all characters. We're all characters. But if you gave a recipe. That would interest me. Oh, not me. See, I see a recipe. If I said I was having baked ziti with whole wheat pasta and then went so far as to give the recipe, I'd be like, thank you. I'd be like, too much information with your recipe. I got to read all the ingredients. You don't have to if you know why. I am a voyeur of the worst kind. Wow. But we have an M1 Tim. M1 Tim. Yeah. I was perusing Facebook and I saw M1 Tim is in a relationship. And boy, I lit up.
Our M1 Tim. Our M1 Tim. Our M1 Tim. And I looked and I started sniffing around and I started looking. Who's this? I'm going to see this girl. I want to see what's going on. See what Timmy's all about. I wanted to then go to her page. But that's different than Twitter though. And find out if she. It's exactly the same. No, no, no. Twitter gives you the smallest slice. Facebook gives you. It allows you. It allows you to. To delve deeper into what it is. Twitter is only meant for this short quip. Which, you better make use of that. I'm a big fan of the song lyrics on Twitter. What? I like to put song lyrics on Twitter. Put one on there yesterday. Listen to this. Listen to this. This is the reason I like Twitter. Sean Merriman tweeted two hours ago and said, I think I'm going to be sick. Did I just see Kobe was offered one to two mil for one game overseas? And then he puts two stars and writes, sitting Indian style. Two more stars. Fascinating. If he means he's sitting Indian style while he wrote that, that's freaking fascinating. I just got a visual of 56 Indian... In some rented house in Buffalo. Yes. But we're getting that information that we already... We already know little idiosyncrasies and mannerisms of our friends. We don't get to know that about celebrities. So it's more interesting when they do it.
I think. I'm interested in what you're doing, what Woods is doing. I'm interested in, you know. Jay hasn't tweeted since the first day on the air. No, it's been months, but yes, I have. Really? You should just copy and paste your recap like you do for your blog. Remember how you said yesterday we were supposed to be friends and that you never attacked me? That's not an attack. Oh, isn't it? Listen to me. You have been taking a belt to us today. Just the two of you. Not to Lauren. That's true. I'd like to take a belt to Lauren. Oh, isolate. She's a married man. Yeah. 24 years. Gets home. I'm just talking. Gets home and he goes, oh, babe, it was a bitch. I looked, but I didn't touch. It was really, really comfortable when we did the Mikey Show fashion show.
And Jay's wife helped me get changed into the outfit that he picked out for me. Oh, gosh. This is a perverted cheerleader. Yes. It's not perverted. It was appropriate. It had haze me on the butt. Yes, on the bloomers. On the bloomies. It said haze me. Which I had to wear because that skirt was see-through. So if I didn't wear that, it was the alternative. And Kim says, well, who picked this one? She knew. She didn't even have to guess. But you know me, babe. I like looking. And really, even when I look, the thoughts don't even go to my head and compute. Because it ain't you. Right. And so, if I see a gorgeous woman, yeah, I mean, I kind of get that she's gorgeous. Barely. I mean, by the slimmest of margins, I think she might be pretty. But I ain't, first of all, I don't want nothing to do with touching her. I don't want nothing to do with even thinking about it.
I don't see how people connect the dots between looking and touching. I really don't. Well, if I quantify it, I do like to touch. I will touch. But that has nothing to do with looking. Right. The two have nothing to do with looking. Uh-uh, uh-uh. Well, here's the deal. If I am in a security void area, okay, where there is no cameras, all right, like an elevator shaft. If I'm in a parking garage that's too dim to pick up lighting and they can't make out who it is anyway. I'll tell you what, even then, I don't even care if I'm looking. I just want to touch, touch, touch. I don't care what it is. I touch anything. If we were going to amend it, it would say, I like to look.
And I like to touch. Yeah, you know what? It's time. It's time. It's time. Let's just amend it. Let's just change it to, I like to touch. Yeah. Let's not. Okay, fine. Let's get rid of, I like to look, I just don't like to touch. Let's just change it to, touching's better than looking. Touching is way better than looking. Looking is for sissies. Yeah. P-words. P-words look. Yeah. Man, touch it. Live your life. Touch. Yeah. Here's my deal. I like to pretend women are Braille and I'm blind. And I'm just reading. I'm touching. That's all I'm doing. Reading. Reading Braille. Like Ray Charles. Yeah. They're the dough and I'm a bread maker. I'm going to knead it. And I knead it. Oh, I knead it. I knead it, all right. You guys are getting me. I knead it. You get it, knead it. He's silent in there. Yeah. He's so funny. Y'all know I got to go home. After you do your little freaking bits. I go home. I got a wife, children. Yeah, I go home. I don't stop by Wendy's on the way home. That's right. I actually get home at a decent time. I'm not just sitting there drawing butter. Yeah, and then nap when I get home. Yeah. Playing with the kids real good. Yeah. I don't have kids. I ain't just sitting there. Yeah, you have dogs that could be walked. I play with them outside. You could walk them. I'm not going to walk them. I got a huge backyard.
How different would our show be if Jay sat in here? I got a question. I have a question. Jay, what if a guy lives on a ranch? Okay. Does he then have to walk his freaking dog down the road? If he lives on acres of ranch? Yes. Yeah, if he lives on acres of ranch, I would say it's probably okay. So that's okay? I would say okay, yes. Okay. So what's the cutoff for size of backyard where you don't have to walk your dog anymore? I would say if your yard is not an acre. Yes, you have to have at least an acre. I have to have a freaking acre of property. Just walk your dogs. I don't want to. I have seven. Well, whose fault is that? You know who doesn't have to? What? Who? The guy who has seven dogs. The heartless guy. You did sign up for it. You're the heartless guy. Yeah, exactly. Let me tell you something, Wizzy. And this is going to go against, it's going to go against you, but it's going to go against me too. The thing that makes me the sickest about Jay's brutal comments is the truth. Yes. It is the truth. There's no truth. It's all true. About you, about me, about all of us. Sitting in there, unmarried, L.O.B. Can't get a kid, would? My eggs are drying up. I didn't say that. Take your dog for a walk, Betty. Don't need to. They're happy. I am such a jerk for saying we went to Wendy's. I didn't have to say it. It came out, I didn't even. Trust me, we're going to hold on to that nugget for a while. Yeah, because we went to get a burger. It was a spontaneous.
It was very spontaneous. I heard Wood asking you when he left, hey, where are we going to go to lunch? And I said, I can't. I got to go home and download iOS. Good for Mike. Good for Mike. He changed his mind. You know what happened? Something happened, he rubbed your leg. No, no, no. Let me tell you. So we're driving, right? We're driving. We're on the five. We're headed north. Shush. He had to give me a ride home. I slept in the studio. Yeah. He just wants it. You know what he is? It's like when you're in one of those cattle things and they're about to open the door and you've got the cowboy on your back. Yeah. What? And he just takes the prod and just right through the fence. It's like they're going to open the door. You're going to get out. Hey, hey, okay, okay. Yeah. He's the guy stabbing the bull before it enters the ring. Right. So. We're driving on the 5 North. Yeah. Passing the Gordon Lightfoot. Yes. Yes. Billboard. Definitely making jokes about that. Yeah, identical joke. And... Hey, Mikey, this is really good iced tea. That happened. Yes. That did happen. I thought you said you were all right, Spider. We did, Goodfellas, but it wasn't that scene. No, it wasn't that scene. Hey, wake up. Hey, follow me, F-O's.
We did that. I live in 555 Bunker Hill Street, Mike. Yes, we like to do that. Danny, Timmy, Tommy. Marky, Joey, Bobby, Timmy, Pauly. So we're driving on the 5 North. We're driving on the 5 North. And I said, what did I say that got us on the topic? I said something about French fries. Weird. I said something about French fries. You don't remember. We never just bring up french fries in conversation. That's why I'm trying to remember. But whatever it was, I go, and that Wendy's, man. I go, they got the best burger now. Who'd have thought? And we just, it was quiet for a second. I go, let's go. You're like, yeah, there's Anthony's Boulevard. Let's go. Let's go. And we did. Peace. God, I hate to laugh. Oh, I hate to laugh already.

I'm going to open my beer right as we start. Oh, girl. Hope I like the warm-up back. On FM 94.9. Just strokes. Yeah. Can't help it. Can't help it.
Here's a crazy idea, Rose. Why don't you let him on there? Oh, wow. What a trip. Look at that, Jack. I've never seen snot freeze before. Your eyeball liquid's frozen, which is weird. This is so weird. I've never seen that. You have icicles on the end of your eyelashes. Which is weird. I am 26 years old. I've never seen a person's... Eyelashes. Free solid. How small are your testicles right now? I bet they're so small because what is that? Oh, my gosh. That water's cold. You're going to trip out when you hear this, Jack. But when you start crying like that, your tear freezes before it rolls all the way down your face. It's so weird. I wish you could see it. It's so wild. Keep crying, though. It's cool. You know what? I wish that it were 100 years from now because I'd have a video camera. I'd post this crap to YouTube.
What is happening to you right now is one of the trippiest things I've ever seen. You're actually, and you're going to think I'm kidding, you're blue. Look at a smurf. Hey, Rose, here's the life we've come to rescue you. Where is your friend Jack? Jack, he didn't make it. He didn't make it. Can I get a board? But you were clutching him, and he was holding onto the door that you were on. Where did he go? I'm on the door now. I know. Kind of wobbly, so can you let me aboard, please? Well, yes, where's Jack? Hey, where'd he go? Jack did not make it. Where did he make it? He didn't make it. He died. Can I get on? Where? It's cold. Where? In the Atlantic Ocean, the thing that I'm floating on a door on. Did he die on the boat?
No, he didn't die on the boat. Because I saw you clutching his hand. I thought you might drag him over here. I was on this door. I was on this door. He wanted on the door. Okay, and he didn't make it. Can I get some soup or something? Did you push him off? No, I didn't push him off. I was holding his hand. You didn't let him on the door? No, because I was afraid that if I let him on the door that it would tip over and then we'd both be on the way. Well, happy birthday. So it was all about you. No, it isn't that I'm... Okay, I put myself before him. Is that what you want to hear? Absolutely. Can I get some top ramen now? Thank you. Okay, great. Great, great, great. Just one of that on the right. Just let him sink to the bottom like an anvil. Or an anchor maybe. An anchor. Better than an anvil, yes. More likely to be in the water. Hey, Rose. It's nice up there. On the door. She's like, actually, I'm kind of hot. I'm kind of... You're not going to believe me. A little toasty. I'm kind of toasty. Jack, I know it might be a really, really weird question, but before you sink to your death, can you take that jacket off? Because I'm actually... I could use it. Yeah, I'm actually a bit cold. I could use it. Do you have any money? Jack, throw me your wallet before you leave. I'm just saying if it's going to sink anyway. If it's going to sink anyway, I mean... Give me your wallet. I'm going to be at Ellis Island. I'm not going to have a nickel.
I mean, listen, if you think it's inappropriate, I won't ask again. I'm just saying, if you're going to sink. Do you have a few pence for me? Yeah. Is what I'm asking. You guys realise that Kate didn't have an English accent in the movie, right? Sorry. Sorry. I thought she did. No? No. I thought there was a bit of a British affectation. I thought there was too. No, she has one in real life, but she dropped it for the movie. I'm dreadfully embarrassed. Not as embarrassed as I was when I was on my... First date with a girl and crying in Carmel Mountain. So are you Mike now or are you still English Rose? I can't tell the difference. Sort of bouncing in between, I guess. English Rose. Much like when I do a Boston accent, oftentimes I'll slide right into a New York accent. So are you Woods or are you Irish English Rose? Irish English New York Rose. Bostonian Woods.
Who am I? What's this voice? Yeah, what is that voice? You guys remember that last shot of Jack just floating with his eyes open down to the bottom? Did she say that she would never let go? Yeah. What a freaking liar. Well, what I mean is I'll never let go of you in my heart. Go freeze to death. I'll never let you go. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Buy that. I don't want that to be confused with. Let me just amend that. Lest you think that I will not let you drop like an anvil to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, I don't want you to think that because that I will do. That I'm going to do. There's an asterisk next to you. Yes. Never let you go. Never let you go. And what it says is in my heart. Yes. Okay. Now, literally, I will let your ass sink right to the bottom of this sea.
But metaphorically, I'm going to hold on. In fact, I'll be an old woman and I'll let my hair down. It'll unravel down my back. Cascade down my back. And I'll throw a $70 million diamond into the ocean. Right. But I'll still never have let you go in my heart. You know what, Jack? Now I feel guilty. Because A, the water that you're in is 31 degrees, which is one degree below freezing. Okay, secondly, there's plenty of room on this door and I'm not letting you on it. And thirdly, I've told you that I'll never let you go and clearly I will. So since I'm coming clean, okay, I need to let you know before you die, I'll probably have a boyfriend within the next year. Probably. In fact, I'll probably be in demand because I'll be one of the few survivors of the Titanic. So I will be on a lot of... Talk shows. Talk shows. Talk shows will be on The View. Phil Donahue. I'm sure Oprah will get a piece of me. Yep. Now, here's the deal, Jack. On these programs, there's a lot of very wealthy, young, good-looking producers. Before you go, you should know, in the spirit of honesty, I'm going to hook up. Well, Jack, I mean, if you think about it, really, I knew you for a day.
And I let you paint me nude. So just imagine what it's going to be like after I'm a survivor of the Titanic. Yeah. It's going to be bad. I'm going to be a whore. Hey. Easy rose. Jack. Jack. I know how I'm telling you I'll never let you go. I know I'm telling you. I'll keep you in my heart. I want you to remember the scene in the car where I put my hand up against the window and it was all steamed up. Okay. Try also to remember it's 1912. There's no such thing as Trojan condoms. Yes. I'm as loose as all get up, Jack. Are we putting all the cards on the table, Jack? Yes. Selfishly, I know this is terrible. It makes me a monster. Selfishly, I'm kind of glad. That you're going to die because you did draw that picture of me. And now I'll be able to destroy it. There'll be no evidence of it. I kind of feel guilty about that. I regret the whole night. And also the good thing is I really don't even like my fiance, Cal. Yeah. Played by Billy Zane. I don't really like him. Here's the deal. I'll be able to S-can this guy out of here too. Yeah. So win-win. We're coming clean, Jack. Only reason I'm telling you. Dude. Okay. You are.
A popper. You're so precocious. It's cute. And you do have a talent. And you fiddle. You can fiddle. A lot of people like to have flings with people from the other side of the track. In about 50 years, they're going to make a movie. It's called Pretty in Pink. James Spader is going to be in it. His friend, Andrew McCarthy, is going to hook up with Molly Ringwald, who's from the other side of the track. Also a redhead. Also a redhead, much like myself. James Spader is going to actually call her a toilet. Yeah. It's fun for a while. It's not going to last. It isn't going to last. It never was. Now, I regret that this is the time that I have to tell you this. But the truth is, I was never going to pretend I knew you once we arrived to New York. Yeah, if we landed here. I mean, as soon as we docked. Landed. Another thing, gosh, I kind of feel bad about this one. But I feel like we're just being honest now. Yeah. I faked it. You weren't that great. I faked all of it. I felt bad for you because you're poor and you're kind of skinny. You've never slayed a rich girl like me. So I was like, oh, gosh, this is wonderful. And then I let you paint me and all that because I felt bad for you. Yeah. And then here's the last one, Jack. Last one. Last one. There is room for five on this sucker. You don't have the strength to hear.
Right now, you can't pull yourself up. I don't know that you could have done a pull-up even if you weren't freezing and falling. Bottom line is, I'm going to let you sink like a frozen statue. It was really good to meet you. To meet you. Oh, wow, that's cold. Yuck. Whoa, your hands are cold. Hello. Yuck. Ew. I'm all salty. I got salt water in my mouth. Just touched a dead guy. Almost dead guy. Almost dead guy. A frozen statue. I've never actually touched one more. I think if I punched you, you would break into splinters. She's all... Sorry. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Let go. Don't make this difficult, Jack. If we had our own little skit comedy thing, that's what it would be. We were talking about it, and L.O.B. said, everybody thought. Why the hell did she not let him on the door? Everyone was screaming at the screen. There's room. But you can't, because if you try to get on there, it would have tipped over, and they both would have gone into the open. They didn't even try. She was on there. She was hefty, so she could have been fine in the water.
You guys have a short memory. That door was only as wide as a regular door. If he would have tried to get on there, it would have gone topsy-turvy. It would have laid on top of her. Yes. Yeah, getting on that door. What if both of them had just their lower halves in and they both gave it a fair shot? Let's keep our heart above the water. Let's just try. Let's just both hang off the edge. That would mean she'd have to get in the water. Yeah. That's not fair. And she's not going to do that. Isn't it fair? Isn't it in fact fair? She's a woman. But isn't it in fact fair? No, she's a woman. Wouldn't you rather die together in love? Yes. Take turns. Fake love. Yes, take turns. Take turns. Jack, I would love to see the woman's movement advanced. I'm not going to lie to you. And that would mean, in all equality and fairness, it would mean that we both share time in the water. There's no one around. And so no one knows what's happening right now. And you're going to look valiant. You're going to look like a hero. Trust me, I have a really good imagination. Yes. I'm going to paint.
You would have just died a poor pauper. Yeah. Now you're going to be like a legend. That might be a movie meetable. Well, and I'll change your name, too, because everybody on the boat knows your name is actually Mel Goodstein. Yeah. It doesn't sound as good. It'll make it sound regal. Jack sounds a lot better. Jack. Your name's going to be Jack. In the movie, it'll be Jack. And I used to be a man. Bye. You're so cute. Bye, Frozen statue. Anvil. Hands off. Stop trying to lift yourself up. Oh, with the chattering already. It's not going to keep you warm. Let's play the quiet game. Let's play the game. You win. You lose. Let's start again. No chattering. It's okay. Just let go. I can't stop. Don't fight. Don't fight. Here, I'll zip your mouth shut. Don't do it. Oh, there he goes. What a fighter. Such a fighter. You have a tiny wiener, Jack. You're a fighter, Jack. Fighter. You're tough.
I lied about how many people I've been with. Your wiener's very small. It's okay that you're dead. I have gonorrhea anyway. You may have been taken. You were probably going to go blind. Maybe syphilis. Okay. All right. This was, where is it? All right, let me find this. This was a very interesting story where Liza Minnelli talks about her friendship with Michael Jackson. kid, you know? And as he grew up, he was so funny. He was really funny. I heard that he was very funny. And he was interested in everything. He loved my dad. You know, so I used to take him to visit my dad. And he'd have dinner, you know, with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly and the Gregory Pecks and all these people. And he was like a sponge for information. Right. And a wonderful conversationalist. Really. Yeah.
But then he'd have to go back to whatever he had to go back to. And I think it just went wrong. You know, it just... And who knows what happened. Yeah. How long before he died had you seen him? Oh, God, I think the last time I saw him was 2000. Really? Yeah. Michael and I used to smoke peyote and pretend we were Starsky and Hutch. Back in those days, everyone did that. Everyone smoked pale. Everyone did that. Really? Especially the Starsky and Hutch. You would have been Starsky. I would have. I probably would have. I'm identical Starsky. Can I tell you about this one time? Yeah. I dressed up as Boss Hug and Michael wore Daisy Dukes and I arrested him. You did. And I said, spread him. And he misunderstood and he prepared peanut butter sandwiches.
You said spread them. I said spread them. And he thought, oh, you must want peanut butter sandwiches. That was hilarious. Of course, he put martini in those sandwiches. That's true. That was wonderful. Yeah. Michael, dear, do you remember camping in Farrah Fawcett's garage? Oh, yes, I do remember that. She forgot we were there. That's right. And she went on vacation. That's right. And then we ended up stranded for a week or so. That's right. We had to live in there. And remember we lived off bubble gum you had from those dreadful baseball cards? That's right. That's right. You had them in a holster. Do you remember that? That's right. I held them in a holster. Put my baseball cards in a holster. And Farrah didn't come back. And so we started eating the bubble gums. And then I said, you're next. And then, Michael, do you remember? Because Judy Garland was my mother. Yeah, that's right. So you had me dressed as Dorothy. That's right. And you were dressed as Toto. Right. And I said, clap those little red ruby slippers together. And I put you in a basket and I carried you around. It was hilarious. That's right. People thought it was so funny at Walmart until we was arrested. Why does Woods hate me so bad? I don't. Just hates me. It's really good. Oh, you son of a bitch. When we come back, we have...

What does it take to become the most highly thought of line of cold cuts in America? What does it take to be Boar's Head? Very simply, an unwavering commitment to quality. Insisting on only the highest quality meats and cheeses without fillers, without scraps, without artificial anything. With no shortcuts and no compromises.
Now, what does it take to be a first-rate supermarket or sandwich shop? An unwavering commitment to quality. A stubborn insistence on carrying only the best. And a desire to train your staff to deliver service that lives up to the high-quality products you sell. It's why the truly great grocery stores and independent markets across America insist on carrying Boar's Head. Because you can't become a first-rate market by selling second-rate cold cuts. I don't have any, you know, athletic ability. Lauren. I worked at Comic-Con. Woods. I, to my credit, Steve Woods have a hole in one. And Jay. I love that sappy movie. On FM 94.9. Did you? Is it raining? Doesn't it? What an L.A., pal. Do you? Is it? Is it? Do you? There was nothing like the hairband drummer flipping sticks. Blas Elias, by the way. Yeah. Based on that. Guy looked just like Sebastian. Beautiful blonde hair. Yeah, yeah. They all had beautiful blonde hair. Oh, yeah. Like, if you saw him from behind, you'd be like, oh, what was that? They turned around. Beautiful. Oh, that's Blas Elias. He has sideburns. Yeah. Guy's got a mustache. Don't worry.
It's like when Jay did that to the guy on the beach. Yes. He thought it was a woman in a bikini. That's right. Sebastian Bach, by the way. Sebastian Bach is the only human that I've ever met in person. Now, it doesn't mean that they don't exist. I'm just saying he's the only person I've ever met in person that pulled off leather pants with stitching on the crotch. Yeah, for sure. How was it stitched? Dude. Let me tell you. Let me tell you the story. No, like the, you know, the stitching was like the zipper. So instead of a zipper, it was stitching. And you pulled it. Like a tie. Like football pants. Like football pants, yeah. Sebastian, this was the highest Sebastian Bach. He had no, this is how he came in the radio station and asked us to take him to 7-Eleven. This is what he was wearing. Leather pants, no shoes, no shirt. Wow. No way.
Yeah. I would love to see that. Hey, listen. I'm a dude. He's like 6'1", sings incredible. He looked pretty cool. I mean, I'm a dude. I'm telling you. Guy looked cool. Maybe throw a t-shirt on, though. You're going to do an interview. Dude, when you are a rock star, I'm telling you, those guys, man, they used to come into that studio sometimes. I'm like, you know, they got men in speed stick at any convenience store. Any convenience store. They forget. They don't know what day it is. They literally, literally, I've literally been in a studio where they've gone, and the person goes, and they come back. Hello, San Diego. It's so much fun. Yeah. I mean, I'm telling you, dude. Where is it? Here was the go-to for me in terms of, well, let me hear the voice. Why was, my wife says this. Why do you think that he had such a cool voice? Why do you talk about Sebastian Bach like he was so special? Nope. All metal singers. This is my life. All metal singers are the same. They just scream. I don't hear anything different about this voice than anybody else. Not yet. Sing on Broadway. Yeah.
He had one of the most natural voices I've ever heard. I mean, that stuff boomed out of him like it was nothing. Nuts. I got a great Skid Row story. I don't think it was you guys, but you might. Did you guys have Vince Neil in the studio back in the day? I never did. Okay. Well, he came in the studio. I went up to meet him, had him sign my copy of The Dirt. He asks me, hey, why don't you and your friends join us at the Gentleman's Club later? Absolutely, Vince. We'll join you. Puts us on the backstage list, okay? For the Vince Neil Experience. Opening for them is Skid Row. Sebastian has since moved on. It's all the other guys. I'm backstage, and this dude grabs me by my shoulder and pulls me in a dressing room. What? And it's Dave the Snake Sabo, the guitar player. Yeah, yeah. The guy that had the earring in his nose, and it went to his ear. Yeah, the chain. Yeah, the chain. And he goes, you want a drink? Yeah, I'm freaking in Skid Row. You know, being a metal kid. Right. I was like, this is a paradise. He takes a Coca-Cola can, Michael, pours out half of it, takes a bottle of Jack Daniels, and pours it into the warm Coke can. Fills it up and goes, here, drink this. And I'm like, oh, okay. And I freaking sat in the dressing room and drank them.
Hot can of Coke with hot Jack Daniels in it. Were you in there with fake Sebastian Bach singer guys? Yeah, Johnny Sollinger was his name. I remember that. Yeah, it was... When I go... Yeah, I thought, yeah, I'd like a drink. Like, he's going to get a glass, put some ice in it, a little Jack, a little Coke. No, no. Into the hole, he poured the Jack Daniels. Didn't want to waste any time. Exactly. Didn't want to waste time. Thing about Skid Row, for those of you that are over 30, thing about Skid Row is that they had this... unicorn freak that sang Sebastian Bach. The only problem with the unicorn was the unicorn couldn't write. Okay? Very well. No, no, no, Woods. At all? At all. You're giving him an at all? Snake wrote all the lyrics. No kidding. Snake wrote all the lyrics. Sebastian didn't write the lyrics. Sebastian sang those lyrics. The song I was just playing.
Outside my window, there's a whole lot of trouble coming. The cartoon killers and the rag cover clones stack heels kicking rhythm of social circumcision. Can't close the closet on a shoebox full of bones. Snake was a pretty decent writer. So Sebastian comes out with a solo album. He still was singing incredible, but he didn't have Snake writing the lyrics. And it just wasn't as good. Gosh, I never heard it. Wasn't as good. I believe it. He liked me a lot. And I think it was because I was his BFF. I was his big fat friend. And when you're really good looking and you have a chubby guy around when you're in town, it makes you look great. So he came here and he really liked me. He goes, dude, you got to come to Brick by Brick tonight and you can bring whoever you want and you're getting on the bus and you're going to party with us. And this was back in the day. Hell yes. I did. I did.
It was the first time I ever saw, I'd never seen a tour bus or anything like that. That's the greatest. And then that's when I, so I got to know him and had his phone number and everything and saw him on something really bizarre. Did I tell you this? I think so. Called him and said, put it on whatever right now. They're doing this really weird thing on you. And he used to get really excited when he was on television. I mean, here's a guy that sold out arenas. Oh, yeah. Madison Square Garden. Madison Square Garden, blah, blah, blah. But when he was on television, for some reason, it did something for him. Right. And he goes, whoa, whoa, what is it? Where? What channel? And I go, well, do you have DirecTV? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I hit the info button. I go, it's like channel 276. Babe, Mikey's on the phone. He said we're on 276. Where's the remote? He lived in New Jersey. Oh, wow. He lived in New Jersey. And don't ever know what happened to Sebastian Bach. Still got his number? No. No. But he really, really, he was a very sweet guy. He seemed like he'd be a blast to hang out with. Yeah, he was. But apparently it didn't all go well. Where is my stylist? Right next to your yellow highlighter. No, Brenda, my stylist. Clearly. Brenda.
My actual stylist. Brenda. Brenda. Brenda. She's out of town. Linder. Okay, let's see. I wish I had a person that would dress me. Me too. Me too. I'm terrible. How great would that be? I walk into the store. I just walk in circles. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know what's cool. Wouldn't you love some chick that knew you and what would be right with you? And you would do it and you'd go, no way. And she'd go, just trust me. Just what I do for a living. I'd trust her once. Yeah, I can dress Matt. My wife does that right now. I can dress Matt, no problem. Dress myself. I look like an idiot. I come home. Kim will go, you wear that today? I'm like, yeah. But you wear the same stuff. She goes, it doesn't match. What you're wearing doesn't match. And I'm like. Yeah, Jay's not a big fan of the matching. Nah. Apparently not. What are you doing right now? What are you rocking? I think I matched today. Yes, you do. But I wore brown and like a dark shirt, like a black shirt maybe, brown and black. You can't wear brown and black. You can, but you shouldn't. Yeah, I did. This is Bill Shatner singing, I want to pick a good one. Speaking of amazing singers. Yeah, William Shatner singing Bohemian Rhapsody.
Easy going. Little high. Little low. Anyway, the wind blows. Doesn't really matter. I'm buying it today. You're not. I'm buying it today. Please don't. I won't be friends with you. I beg you. Don't do shtick rock. It's a bit. It's a bit. It's amazing who's doing it with him. No, no, guys. He really means it. Of course it's a bit. So what will you do when you listen to it? Will you laugh? No, here's the deal. With something like this, it's like a movie. What would be great is if I didn't have to own it. What I wish I could do is pay $4.50 to see it and then be done. I don't need to see it again. You want to rent it. I want to rent it. I want to hear it. I'm not going to hear it again. But I do want to hear it. Right now, my ears are devouring the stupidity. And he knows it is. That's why I did it. It's supposed to be funny. The first time I hear it, I'm like, it's so stupid. To me, it's funny. You're making me angry. How did he get Sheryl Crow?
Peter Frampton, there's a list of people that do this with him. Because of Shatner's bit, you realize Shatner's bit was that he, and he recognizes it and readily admits he was an over-actor. He was an over-actor. He knows it. He's unabashed about it. So, how great is it for him to take the songs so seriously? Mama, just kill the man. Kill me. Put a gun against his head. He's feeling that. Is he? Yeah. Now he's dead. Oh, no. Mama. She's acting. He's acting. Oh, life had just begun. But now I've gone and thrown it all away. Mama. Didn't mean to make you cry. End this time tomorrow. Carry on. Oh, my God. Carry on. Easy, tiny, too. As if nothing really matters.
That's awful. It's like the musical from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Yes. Well, isn't that like saying somebody farts and you go, stinks. I don't do that. I laugh. Okay. Okay. Okay. How about this one? Isn't it like walking into a florist shop and going, it smells like freaking flowers in here. Of course it does. You're in a florist. It's supposed to smell. If you don't like flowers, why are you in a florist shop? Why are we applauding him being a goofball? Yes. Why are we applauding and buying it? Why are we encouraging it? I could do that. No. No, no, no, no, L.O.B. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Let me explain. My brother would give me the same bit. So I'd have the conversation with my brother, Steve. The reason for Bill Shatner.
is because L.O.B. is not known for being an overactor. That is not her bit. Her bit is that she's a comedian. He's not a comedian. He's an overactor. He never had a career. He did T.J. Hooker. He did whatever. Star Trek. Right. But that's where he got known as the overactor. Then he did T.J. Hooker and Boston something. Boston Legal. Boston Legal. Which he was not bad at. Denny Crane. But his bit is he's an overactor. Yeah, we get it. We got it. Bill. You do Priceline. I know what it is. I know what it is, L.O.B. You just haven't heard him do the Foo Fighters. I'm sorry. Pink Floyd. He makes Jay look like Pavarotti. I know, L.O.B. I called that one wrong. It's Elton John that'll get it. Ruining a song. I miss the earth so much. It's lonely on such a timeless flight. Oh, I love spoken word so much. Please, please start talking again. I think it's going to be wrong. Until touchdown brings me around again to find I'm not the man they think I am. No, no, no, no. Hurt no more. I'll be home. You too.
When the night takes a deep breath. I'm tired of all this talk about love. Gonna go to the place that's the best. When I lay me down to die. Gonna go up to the spirit of the sky. She did Mustang Sally next. Going up to the spirit of the sky. The best. Yeah. This is the best. This is his, what do you call it, opus? Yeah. The Grand Opus? Tour de Force. Standing there alone. The ship is waiting. All systems are go. Are you sure? Control is not convinced. But the computer has the evidence. No need to abort. The countdown starts. Watching in a train. Nothing left to chance. All is working. Trying to relax. Up in the capsule. Send me up a drink. Jokes Major Tom.
The count goes on. It's like a movie, isn't it? Earth below us. So there you go. I like that original song. I love his cover. I think he did it better. He shats all over those good songs. He shat all over them. You don't know what I do. Yes, we do. If you did, you would like it. What does your Asian friend... What's his face? George Takai. Sulu. They're not friends. We're not friends anymore. You used to be. Well, no, we were never really friends. I always hated him. I'm just open about it now. Once I decided I was going to come clean about everything, I came clean about everything, including my disdain for Bill. Freaking identical George Takai. It's identical George Takai. Takai. Takai, I'm sorry.
Yes. He was quite a ball buster when we worked together. And he tried to out me. Well, why are you so upset, George? You have a lovely husband named Brad. And that's a true statement, actually. It is true. Why are you laughing? Because every fictitious man that was goes to is named Brad. But that's not fictitious. No, my husband's name is Brad. Oh, okay. How do you feel now? That's a true story. You throw enough Shatner against the wall. I guess some of it has to stick, right? You're so happy, George, with Brad. Yes. And why the bitterness? Because before I... I formally came out. Bill tried to out me. Okay, well, move on. I like your turtleneck. Oh, thank you. It's L.L. Bean. I figured as much. Brad picked it out. Oh. Did you get like a monogram thing on the back?
Matching monogram backpacks, maybe? I'm trying to figure out if you're being serious or not, because the truth is, yes, we did. That's a big player in the LL Bean community. Bill used to think it was funny to leave tutus in my dressing room. That's pretty funny. It's not. I didn't find the humor in it. I would say, hello, did anybody leave a tutu in my dressing room? And Bill would say, he would always be the first to speak up. And he would say, I didn't leave it there. Does anyone here know where a pink tutu may have came from? And of course I knew it was Bill that left it there. And then I would come back the next day and there would be some sort of ballet slippers or something. He's always doing bits. Always doing bits. When I finally did come out, Bill, as some sort of sick perverted joke, sent a gag ball in the mail. Have you used it with Brad? No, I haven't. Haven't you? Some things are left for just the bit. When we return, movie plot hot potato. 570-1949. Oh, yeah.

Who would you like? There you go. And M1 Meter Reader from Oceanside, you got Jay. Hang on, okay? Okay. All right, hang on. Who goes first? I don't remember who went first last time. I'll go first. Okay. Happy birthday.
Woods is going to begin, and we have 60 seconds. Let me make sure this works. Yeah, it does. We got 60 seconds. They're going to give the plot of a movie, and I have to guess what the movie is. As soon as I guess, they get to throw the hot potato to the other person. Whoever's holding the hot potato at the end of 60 seconds loses. If the hot potato leaves their hand, they're good to go. And away we go. Morgan Freeman, Andy Dufresne. Shawshank Redemption. Oh, I have that one too. This one is a sequel to when these guys go to Vegas and get drunk. Made? Yes, you will. Yes, you will. I'll take the BB. I didn't stole. You're always a bride. You're always a bride. You're both taking it. As if I'll ever be a bride. I mean, come on. Keep that door open. Who wants it first? Mikey's taking one. No, it wasn't, you liar. Get over there, Mikey. Get over there, Mikey. Here we go. Oh, Jenny just hit me with the balls. Chris, are you getting this?
Oh, that was a two for one. I didn't do anything. That was a two for one. I can't believe that, Mike. I feel like Dante from Clerks. You're a bride. You're a bride. It was a movie where the girl was doing the sexual acts. I'm like, oh my gosh, I don't know. Yeah, you do. Well, you know what it is. You know what it is. You've seen it. You haven't seen it, but you know about it. Everybody describes you as a hero. This movie has a family. Come on. It has a family. Blonde. Blonde. Blonde. You all are crazy. Okay, teeth. Cheaper by the dozen. Somebody cheats. Somebody cheats.
Swimming pole in there. Come on. I'm sorry there's not any more movies about McDonald's or Wendy's. Yeah. Because that's what Woods did. Woods is like, you know what, man? Gosh, what do I do? Woods, how's that look? Jay's very combative today. I'm going to ask Rick R. Jackson to give him $25,000. Please. And so we can all be friends again. Cut it out of your own. Brands of cold cuts that say, well, they're sort of, kind of, almost as good as Boar's Head. Truth is, they're not even close. Being Boar's Head means using only the best cuts of meat and the highest quality artistan cheese. These cost money. and wannabes won't spend it. Being Borset means never using scraps or artificial colors, never cutting corners to save a few cents, never making compromises. Being Borset also means only offering our products to stores that we trust will handle and serve them well.
So I say, smartphones, tablets, and hotspots. Not bad. But in my head, I'm thinking, is it the 10, the 5, touchdown. And then I say, yeah, but is Verizon 4G LTE really that fast? And he says, yep, up to 10 times faster than 3G. Whoa. And now I'm going, they're going for two. Got it.

I need a Hall and Oates playlist on my iPod. Who's the curly fro? That's Oates. Curly fro. No, that's Baba Booey from the Howard Stern show. That's identical. Identical Baba Booey. Oates is the mustache curl. Yes. Oates is. Daryl Hall. No. No. Oates. Daryl Hall. I believe Daryl Hall. Is he the blonde guy? Oates is curl. Okay. Daryl Hall is the blonde guy. And John Oates is the... Curly. Yeah. Identical. YMCA mustache. Yes. I think I was such a badass because this song would come on the radio and they would say that it's a bitch girl. Yeah. And then I'd get to sing along to it. And you didn't get in trouble? No. Because it was in the song. Oh, I could not get away with singing stuff from songs. No. I remember I tried it on a song from Grease. Oh, it was when you're feeling lots and you're getting lots. Grease lightning. I was like five, and I said the S word, singing along with that song. They said the S word in that? Yeah, he goes, when you're feeling lots of, and you're getting lots of grease and light, and I did it. And my mom was like, what'd you just say? Do you remember a song by Don Henley? And it was, give us dirty laundry. Yeah. They say in that song, we all know that crap is king. And this is how sweet your friend Woods was. I was so embarrassed by the word crap that I used to like.
When it came out, I'd look out the window so my mom wouldn't know. Yeah, that's it. I wouldn't sing it because I thought it was such a bad word when I was like five. Wow, how things have changed. I was embracing the B word. I was not. I was so embarrassed I'd hide. I got in trouble for having the 45 of Elton John. The bitch is back. Bitch is back. Oh, I bet. Oh, my mom killed me. Well, when you think about it, for the time, that must have been pretty provocative, right? Never liked that one. No. That song's kind of lame, isn't it? Jay just spinning 45. Yeah, this is not one of my favorites from Elton John. Big player at the school dancing. Yeah, I bet. Here's a good Elton John. This will get you. Doesn't matter who you are. You've got to like. Goodbye, Yellow McCrow. That voice. That's great. Sitting up there in a Donald Duck costume. Swearing a big rainbow wig and oversized sunglasses. Singing it up.
Philadelphia's, you know. Spectrum. Spectrum. Yeah. Guy couldn't write one damn lyric to save his life. Bernie's like, I'll just be over here cranking out hits, pal. Crank them out. You just sing them, I'll write them, okay? What a team. No one will know my name. But hey, you know what? Happy birthday, Elton. HBD. Woods said that his wife and he were talking about entitlement last night. She got home from work and... She was talking to him about an interesting conversation that she had with a younger co-worker who referred to himself as the trophy generation, which I think is pretty brilliant. Well, I got a light bulb in my head. Basically, what he was saying is he comes from the generation of kids that were given trophies for everything and were always coddled by their parents. And it still exists today. It's a generation where kids grew up in a big, robust economy.
Take care of. Good stuff. Mom, where the hell is the Hot Pockets? Yeah, I want my freaking Hot Pockets now. Mom, you brought two DVDs while we go to Yosemite? Well, I mean, you want a true example? I was a Little League coach and a kid was crying in the dugout. Crying. Because another kid stepped on his backpack, which contained his iPhone. He was 11 years old. 11 years old. And I looked at him and I go... I was mad. That's different for me. And I go, well, hold on. I go, hey, what are you crying about? He goes, he didn't like my backpack. And I go, so what? And he goes, and right then I go, well, maybe not having kids is nothing fabulous. How did you handle it? I look at him and I go, first of all, don't bring your iPhone to a baseball field and leave it in the dugout. I said, second of all, I don't care. He's cheering for what's going on on the field, and you're worrying about your iPhone. Yeah. Where was your iPhone? In the car. Where it belongs. Yeah, the one I paid for. It was in the car. 11 years old, for God's sake. I'll tell you, man, we all sound like our dads, but to me, I don't believe in the trophy bit.
No. Everybody doesn't get a trophy. Everybody should get a trophy. No way. No, they shouldn't. What do you have to aspire for? It's a participation trophy. Great for signing up and paying your league fees. Here's a trophy. It's BS. And look what it's breeding. Get a pat on the back from your parents. Trophies are for winners. My kids all got trophies. I got trophies growing up for nothing. I didn't. Never. I had to try out for a team. Well, you don't get trophies for surfing and skating. No, I played soccer. Trophies are for winners. Yeah. Trophies should be for winners. For the guys that win. Coffee is for closers. Coffee is for closers. Exactly. They're not all winners. They are. They aren't. They played a great year. They aren't. And you know what? No, they tried hard. And you shouldn't, and I don't think that you should be told that you're a winner when you're not winning. Because what that does, I believe, is I believe it reinforces that you are entitled regardless. You're entitled just because you're there. And what happens is they take that from the soccer field when they're seven to the office when they're 27. Or when they're 23, like this young man that works with my wife. And he's like, look, I'll fully admit it. I expect stuff to be given to me. And I come from the trophy generation. I never had to work for anything. I've never worked so hard in my life at this job. You know what I'm saying? Now, and by the way, him working hard at that job is probably nothing like...
Even what we did. Yeah. Or for sure his parents. Yeah. I always flash back to when I got trophies and go, gosh, I deserve everything. Really? My kids all got trophies and they don't expect everything given to them. I think it's how you're raised around your house. I do. I think so, too. That's part of it. I think that plays a big part of it. But I also think that there's... It doesn't help. And it isn't just an issue about kids getting trophies. Kids don't even care about score. It goes way further than that. Kids don't even care about score. Even at eight, they're still like, oh, whatever. What? Not me. Not me. I hate. I wanted to win. Yeah, I think so, too. And I think that it goes beyond a trophy. You think so or you know so? Because I'm coaching a team right now that I'm telling you. The boys just are like, whatever. It isn't just a trophy. I'm the only one who cares if we win or lose. It's not just about getting trophies. It's also about simple entitlement. Simple entitlement. And it goes far beyond sports. Yeah. It goes to, you know. It goes to things like cell phones. Cell phones aren't cheap. An iPhone. A $600 iPhone. Yeah. 11 years old. Now, kids now will expect it. We are our parents. Expect all you want. You're spoiled if you get one. And my kids never got one. Hey, listen. Well, that's good parenting. Yes. There's a difference between getting trophies and being a good parent. Hey, bro, I'm not laying this necessarily on the kids. I'm laying it more on the parents. Absolutely. Absolutely. It's not the kids' fault.
Yeah, the kids are just being raised by somebody. Jay, do you remember what they used to call going out for football? You had to go out for it. Not peewee. No, no, but in high school. Yeah, yeah. You couldn't be 700 pounds and walk onto the football team and go, I get a uniform. Yeah, you can. Not in high school, you can't. Yes, you can. They got four teams. They got a freshman A, freshman B. They got a sophomore A, B. They got a JV and a varsity. Anybody that wants to play football in high school can play. We had those teams, but you didn't mean you were going to get on. I still think it's better that they're playing that than after school doing drugs. That's the counter. I mean, not that those are the only two options. You either play football or you do drugs. It doesn't mean you get to play on the field during the games. Here's what bums me out. Here's what bums me out. Somebody like Chris is an anomaly. The guy that we have that screens our phones, he's an anomaly. I mean, 22, right? 22? I have met. One 22-year-old like Chris, and his name is Chris. That's it. And what I mean by that is that dude feels like nothing is deserved. He's going to earn it. And I'll be 99 years old. No, I won't. But I'll be on my deathbed. Seriously, 59 years old. And I'll be laying there, and I will remember Chris saying, I'll be back in a couple of minutes with a solution.
I'll remember him walking in at 545 and me going, how do you look tired? Well, yeah, I was up till one studying for midterms, getting his butt up, dragging it down here, answering our phones, doing stuff for us. It's a lazy generation. I mean, they're all lazy. I mean, since I got into radio, I've always said it's. People don't really want to work. They're entitled, though. Entitled. Hillary, when you started in radio, what was your first radio job? Yeah, this is resonating because, well, my first radio job was college radio. So when I was going to UC Irvine, taking a full load of classes, I did the 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. shift starting out. And for three years, I did college radio, worked my way up there, did every job, production director, promotion director, music director. I interned at two different record labels in L.A. I interned at a rock station, KNAC, in Long Beach. And when I went for that interview, I told them, I will empty your trash can. That's right. I will do whatever it takes to be here. And I did like every internship I could possibly do. I went through fainting spells because I was so overworked.
But I eventually got hired at KNAC, midnight on a Wednesday night, specialty punk rock show. And I was still taking a full load of classes. It was my senior year, commuting up there to do it, handling all of that. And then eventually turned into this. You have to work hard. Now, I will tell you this, and it doesn't matter what the job is, I believe that nowadays you can pretty much... I guarantee if you're hired at a job, entry level, that you can progress and do well if you're simply consistently on time and you work hard. That's it. That is it, man. That's it. You don't have to be Steve Jobs. You don't. What they are looking for is punctual, presentable, and a worker. A guy that doesn't punch a clock at 9 and leave at 5. And by the way, the guy that's punctual and works and does that now. It's like the boss goes. He's the anomaly. Whoa. He's the guy that's up. That guy's a freaking trooper. Yeah. Look at him. And if you add proactive into the mix, you're going. Forget it. I told the people that that worked for me at Clear Channel all those years. And then every year they came in going, who are we firing now? And it didn't matter. They were just like, we're looking for somebody to fire. Well, sometimes that happens, man. Sometimes that happens. These are some of the hardest working kids that I've ever worked with. I mean, they worked their tail ends off and they just got thrown out. Yeah. And I think it has a lot to do. You know, I remember you were.
You were good with those kids. You were good with those kids. Whatever you got them doing. Fear. He beat the crap out of them. A lot of threats. Threats to their family. And trophies. Trophies. Hey, you made it to work. Happy birthday. Seventh place for making it today. Seventh person to be late today, but congrats. Congratulations. Keep it up. What do you got coming up, Hill? Put your name on it. I want to play another new song from the Tudor Cinema Club record because I'm really ready for that. And I grabbed Jeff Buckley's Grace. I grabbed Depeche Mode Violator, Black Crows. And I got a copy of the new Jane's Addiction record yesterday. It doesn't come out on Tuesday. I heard something off that. So I'm going to play something off that. It's pretty good. There you go. Lovely and Talented Hillary is up next. See you tomorrow morning at 6. The Mikey Show's out. Get it!
