Mikey recounted his Taylor Swift concert experience, describing how he pushed Rebecca aside to get a better view and ended up holding Taylor Swift's hand. The team played a prank on phone screener Chris, convincing him he'd violated FCC rules with profanity in the podcast. They also debated Halloween costumes, shared a spooky cabin story, revealed Ryan's harmonica skill, tested the "my man" catchphrase, played Grab Woods Junk, and tried the Sly dial voicemail trick.
What happened, in order
Taylor Swift concert mishap
Mikey recounts taking Rebecca to a Taylor Swift show, mistakenly thinking Need to Breathe was the opening act, feeling disappointed until Taylor Swift walks through the crowd and holds his hand.
Halloween costume brainstorm
The crew debates Halloween costume ideas, tossing around Casey Anthony, Kate Middleton, a ghost outfit, and a pregnant belly pumpkin contest.
FCC prank on Chris
The hosts trick phone screener Chris into believing he left profanity in the podcast and will face an FCC fine, building tension before revealing it's a joke.
Sly dial voicemail experiment
The hosts test a service that lets you call someone's voicemail directly without ringing, trying it on Woods and getting an unknown caller ID.
Grab Woods Junk blindfold game
L.O.B. is blindfolded and reaches into Woods' pants to guess the object (toothpaste) for a $20 Smash Burger gift card and Scream Zone tickets.
'My man' catchphrase attempt
Jay tries to popularize the phrase "my man" as a new sign‑off, discussing its origins and whether it will stick with the audience.
Haunted Texas cabin tale
Mikey describes staying in a creepy Hill Country cabin with a rocking‑chair basement and a claw‑footed tub, sharing the spooky details with Rebecca.
Ryan's harmonica talent
Mikey reveals his two‑year‑old son Ryan can play harmonica just like Bo Diddley, prompting plans to record it for YouTube.

to the Mikey show and it was an unusual night for me but I'm feeling pretty good even though I was way past my bedtime took Rebecca to see took Rebecca to see Taylor Swift and was kind of a baby I was kind of a baby weird Not you, us, men. That was a generalization of men. Yes, that is true. When we have to go to bed, we've got something to do the next day. We're babies. Well, I wasn't even a baby about that. I'll tell you what I was a baby about. I don't know. Maybe you will relate to me. I'm sure I will. I hope you will. Where's Jay when you leave? I know. I'm Mikey. That's Woodsy. Ella B is our assistant producer. Oh, ages. Our consultant tells us that we should tell you how old we are so that you kind of get, because it's radio, you can't see us. I'm 41. Woods is 36. LOB is 30. That's how old you look. Yeah, it's true. Thanks. Foxy. Very Foxy. Thank you. Jay is 48. He's busy doing a lot of stuff today. I'm going to give him a break. Where is he? He's doing some, he's working.
And then our phone screener is Chris. It's Krause. That's Krause. Oh, boy. That was a less than half-hearted attempt, LLB. Word of the day is Valley. And so when you hear me say the word Valley between now and 10, caller 9, we'll get a pair of tickets to see City in Color November 8th at the House of Blues. Yes. Yeah. Okay. So we're going to talk about Muammar Gaddafi's death. Happened yesterday at this time when we were. When we were on, we're going to talk about Lindsay Lohan blowing it yesterday again. So how many times? And the sheriff of Los Angeles County Sheriff commenting on it. And saying what an addict she is. She's an idiot. She's coming out and saying it. Yeah. You know why I was a baby? Why? Well, Rebecca and I went out to dinner. And when we got there, we said, is there any way? that we can put a rush and the guy said absolutely no problem he said it'll only take 30 minutes and we said okay and so it took longer than that and uh we had to leave and so all of the food was in a bag and we didn't have any utensils we couldn't even eat it on the way and so we get there we're starving and we get inside and uh i get a a hot dog and
I'm fine with the hot dog. But then I'm looking for, I'm looking around. It's a million little girls. They're screaming and it hurts. They scream so loud, the little girls. Gosh, they do. They sure do. And I'm looking for t-shirts. I want to buy a t-shirt for Need to Breathe. And there's Taylor Swift stuff, but there's no Need to Breathe stuff. Need to Breathe is the opening act. I like them a lot. This is Need to Breathe. So I'm kind of disappointed. We go to our seats. We're sitting in our seats. And at exactly 7 o'clock, the opening band begins. And it isn't Need to Breathe. It's someone named David Nail. I say, David Nail. Can I tell you what I told my wife when you texted that to me? What? And this is a quote.
Only Mikey could screw up who the opening band was for Taylor Swift. I know. That's a quote in my home. On their website, it said they were going to be there that night. On their website. I didn't screw it up. It said they were going to be there. How did I screw it up? It said they were going to be there. So it's a baby. Too inquisitive. And so my wife is just oblivious because she's there for Taylor Swift. And so my wife is like, as this guy, David Nail, is like, and I ain't having no good time tonight. I'm going to find something blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. As he's singing, Rebecca's like, this is cool. Like that, look at how big the stage and the, and I'm like, mm-hmm. And then finally she got it and she goes, I'm sorry, babe. And I go, what?
Because I couldn't hear. I said, I'm sorry, babe. It's all right. It's okay. It's fine. It's perfect, actually. It's pretty awesome. It's freaking perfect. And I'm such a baby. I'm so sad. I'm sad. Yeah. Like a little baby. Yeah. And so he wraps up, David Nell, he wraps up and he says, need to breathe's next. But by that time, I was already a baby. What? You didn't rally from the baby? I finally did. But when it first happened, I just I was babied out. Wow. Haven't you ever done that? You've never been babied out. And like you get in the baby mood and now you're I got out of it very quickly. But I had been so disappointed because for we know for months. Yes. I'm like going on there. Wood showed me their set list yesterday. I'm thinking.
Oh, gosh, I get to see them live. I'm looking at everything I can see of them live. And, you know, and then David Nail. And so it put me into a, you know, I was a little funked. I was a little funkified. Oh, but then when I found out that we were going to be there, I would have been like, oh! Immediately. Yeah. Yeah. How were they? They were really good. They were really great. Was the stadium full at that point? Or the arena? It was pretty full. I would say it was full to mostly full. That's good for them. Yeah. They had a lot of fans. Yeah. It ended up they had a lot of fans there. Let's see how good this sounds. Through a telephone. That's how they started the show. I was still a little, until they started singing, I didn't get stoked until I started singing. Woods is not, he doesn't like what he's singing.
They had like spotlights that you can hold. Like searchlights. They were like searchlights and they were holding them. Woods doesn't like it immediately. Yes, I do. No, you got to look like, oh, you got spotlights. I just can't, I can't see that. This was me just next to Rebecca. Just waiting to, like a seven-year-old. Like a seven-year-old. And Rebecca's screaming next to you? No. Now I'm getting happy. Even right now, I'm remembering. I started to hear that because that's the way the song sounds. Oh, yeah. When the lights kick on, dude, it's wiener time. Yeah. And once he started singing and he sounded just like the record, I went, all right, I'm happy. I'm happy. It was cool. He really loves his little brother who plays in the band with him. Loves this kid. His name is Bo. And made a big point of talking about how great Bo is. Oh, man. Yeah, it was cool. And then Taylor Swift.
Came on. And let's see. Chris, can you try to get Rebecca on the line? She's probably still asleep, but she wanted to make fun of me about something. Which is freaking gold. Yeah. Freaking gold. I'm embarrassing myself. Well. You should be. I wish I hadn't done it. Listen, it's easy for me to... It was a... Spur of the moment? No, no. When they hit your... Reflex. Reflex. Listen, it's easy for me to sit here and say, knowing full well, full well, I would have done the exact same thing. Yeah. Without question. Probably worse. Call the house phone? Can you call? Yeah. She was mortified by me. My wife often is at concerts. They get that way of us. We're dorks. I don't blame her. I don't blame her. And as I think back on it, I go, gosh darn, dude, you're a 41-year-old guy. You've got children, dude. You've got tattoos, bro. Yeah. Gosh darn, man. Really? This is me talking to me. Really? Looking at me, just disappointed, shaking my head. Hey, honey. Yeah. Tell everybody what happened.
I'd be happy to. Did you tell that at all? No, but I will say this, you know, I have to, in order for me to go to sleep, I have to take sleep medication. And so, you know, I had taken it. Yeah. Well, towards the end, right before we were getting ready to leave, it was really, really cool and exciting because... We were kind of at the edge of a row, and they came by and put a rope by. And so we thought, oh, my gosh, I think Taylor Swift is going to come by. And sure enough, she did. She walked through the audience, and she was shaking everybody's hand and giving everybody high fives. It was so exciting. And so I was standing the rope.
And, you know, had my head kind of sticking out around looking for her. And, well, Mike started kind of nudging me and then kind of a little bit more and a little bit more. And basically pushing me out of the way so that he can get a better look. I don't know what came over me. It was in the, you know, moment. And I, you know, I was trying to protect. Oh, is that right? Don't you dare. Taylor. I have video of it. I'm posting it on our website. Oh, thank you, Lord. It was really surprising. Wow. Was it? But that's not the end of it, is it? That's the end of it. Is it? What else? What do you mean, what else? What did I miss? Did you or did you not?
Have physical contact with Taylor Swift. Yes. In fact, Rebecca said, I said, hey, babe, did she grab your hand? And Rebecca said, yeah, this is after in the parking lot when Rebecca was mortified by me. I said, did she grab your hand? And she said, yeah. And I said, no, it's too bad. She held mine. Oh, boy. You said, I think we had a moment. I said, hey, babe. You know, I just want you to know it's not going to go any further. But, you know, obviously. Did you smell your hand? That's too bad. I did this morning. I would have. This morning. Oh, it smells like raspberries. To see if there was any sort of Taylor Swift, you know, lotion. Let me touch your hand now. Rebecca would have. Here's the video. I'll play it. You can hear the audio. Children. Here we go. This is what it sounded like. Facebook.com.
slash Mikey show, you can actually see the video. And the security guards are freaking out because people are touching her. And she's touching people. And she walks right up to us. And Mike pushed me right out of the way. Well, I was pushing. No, I didn't push you out of the way when she got there. I was pushing you out of the way before she got there. Like, you're blocking my view. Preliminary push. Wow. Wow. I don't blame you. I would have done the same stinking thing. Rebecca was pushing some little girl out of the way. Yeah, right. Hey, you didn't pay for the seat. Me and the little girl out of the way. You're pushing Rebecca into her. Yeah. I didn't push the little girl. You really were pushing me away.
Yeah, you were. Wow. Listen, you're kind of a bully, if we're being honest. You know, you were bullying me. I didn't even want to go. What's that? I thought you didn't even want to go. That's a true story. Yeah. That is true. We asked you if you were excited to see Taylor Swift, and you said no. No. Not at all. Well, there's a difference between being excited to see Taylor Swift and then enjoying it once it begins. When she walks freaking one foot from you, that's pretty exciting. Taylor Swift. And holds your hand. Yeah, she holds your hand. She grabs your hand and she holds it and she looks right into your eyes. And you can see the look in her eyes. The look is, ugh, you are 41. What a surprise. You had the wrong concert? She looked at me, and I'm not kidding you. She had a look on her face like, you're that guy. Oh, no. Like, you're the creep. You're the creep. Were there any other 40-plus men around you? No, I was the only one in the building. She looked at me like, you're probably one of the guys that...
my people are looking into. Nice Bieber. He's sending me letters with pictures of you. Yeah, like, don't let this man backstage. You know, and I wanted to say to her, this is my wife. I brought her to your concert. I'm not just here because you're 19. And she's looking at me like, you don't like my music. You don't care about my music. You're here because I'm young and good looking. And I was like, that was the end of our moment. That was it. Young and good looking enough to push your wife out of the way. Push is a strong word. Shove. Yeah. I would say shove. Push. Bulldoze. Bulldoze. Well, quite frankly, I'm shocked and appalled that you, you know, don't recognize it when a guy, you know, is taking a sleep medicine.
Oh, please. Oh, wow. Don't blame it on the sleep medicine. He doesn't know what he's doing. Well, I think that, you know, because you had taken the sleep medicine, I think it just shows your true colors. True colors. Yeah, it's the old drunk bit. It's the old drunk bit. Hey, I was drunk. I hooked up with her. I'm sorry. Right. It shows what you're really about. That's what you're really like. You sure had a lot of strength for someone who was groggy. Yeah. I used all the groggy, fat strength I had and said to my wife, whom I bought the tickets for, for Taylor Swift, you know, can I get a good, like, shot here? I'm trying to take some video. Easy courses. Yeah, so we're leaving and I tell her, I'm like, she goes, you know, she goes, I'm calling in tomorrow, I'm telling you. And I go, and I go, and I'm looking at her like, you rat thinking. And I go, I go, listen. I said, okay, fine. If you don't want me to capture a video for you anymore, just say the word. Just say the word. Because, you know, I guess you want to save a moment for your wife. Now you're a monster. I guess that makes you a monster. I guess that makes you a monster. I'm sure Rebecca would be fine with cutting down on the video taking. I'm sure she would. Yeah. I bet she would. And I wonder, like, what moment I would cherish more.
a video of her walking by or me getting to touch her hand and give her a high five. I know, right? Hey, I was thinking of our morning show here. You know, and I thought, you know, I'll get some good footage. That's right. Well, actually, it... Hey, can you check your email? Because when we got home, it actually inspired me to write you. To write me? Uh-huh. It's a picture of the carpet. Why a picture of the carpet? Is it a video? Yeah, I don't have any sophisticated recording devices. So I just used my iPhone and recorded you a song. There's no picture, but you should listen to the song. Can I play it on the air? Yeah. All right, here we go. Oh, my God.
I think everyone will be stunned. Oh, my God. To find out that you were so crazy obsessed with seeing Taylor Swift best that you pushed me down. Oh, my God. Dear honey, I know that you were having fun. I did it. Know that you couldn't withstand not shaking Taylor's hand. Oh, my God. Wow. You're a genius. You're a genius. That's beautiful. What a voice. That is sweet. By the way, by the way, do you know what the video is? What? She wrote it on a piece of paper, went into our closet, because I can tell where that is, stuck the piece. No, it's in your office. To my office? Mm-hmm.
Stuck the piece of paper on the floor and has like a flashlight. She's a genius. Yes. She's a genius. Very pretty. Very great. Very good. Tonality. How dare you? Well, I was just shocked and amazed and still am. You've got that at home and you're pushing her out of the way? Yeah. How dare. How dare you? Well, I was asleep, you know. Were you? All right. Maybe. Maybe it was. A little weird. I don't know what came over me. I know. I would have done the same thing. Don't condone it, Woods. Dave Grohl was like 10 feet from me, and I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, babe. I got it. He's a rock star. I know. It's true. You push your wife out. It's my true colors, you know? True colors come out. I feel like it's a little bit different, too, because, you know, the whole bit was like, oh, I guess I'll take you. Yeah. I don't really want to go.
I don't really like Taylor Swift. I'm going to get you. Oh, you're dumb? I'm going to get you back. I'm going to get you back. You know what Woods said to me? He goes, your wife's got you so many times. And she does. And the audience, you know what? It's like a German Shepherd licking out of a toilet bowl. The M1 Nation freaking loves it. They drink it up. Yeah. They do. You know what everybody's going to get to see? I want people to see my wife with those big headphones on. Oh, whatever. It's simultaneously the cutest and funniest thing I've ever said. I love you. I love you. Forgive me. Hmm. Right. I forgive you. I love you. I love you. Bye. Goodbye. A little angel. A little package. Hey. Voice. I do not talk about your wife this way. Now you stop it. Don't you? You talk about it. Hey, Kim, I would do this. That's me. That's Woods. You both do it. I don't do that. Hey, Kim. This is Mikey. Hey, Kim. Hey, Jay. What's Kim doing later? Wasn't she in that double man ad? Yeah, man. You only have eyes for Woods, so. Hey. And then he gives me the break sign. Yeah. Gotta go. Why didn't you tell us that your wife could sing like that? Yeah. No kidding. I really, honestly, I've never heard her sing as...
full-on song like that. That was beautiful. Very pretty. Yeah, she sang pretty good. So we're going to play you this audio of the L.A. I don't know what it's like to be the cool kid in high school these days, but I know that when I was in high school, the guys that I would look at and I would go, dude, he's like the sharpest guy here at school.
He'd be the guy that could grow his hair to look just like Joe Elliott from Def Leppard. Yep. And then he would wear the British T-shirt. Oh, yeah, dude. Okay? Now, a guy like me in high school, first of all, my parents would get me the Paraguay T-shirt and be like, it's almost the same. It's almost the same. But not the actual British. And I'd be like, oh, I want the British one. They're like, that one's $5 and this one's like 50 cents. I'll get you four of these. Yeah, I'll get you four. And it wouldn't fit. And so I couldn't wear it. And, you know, that would be mortifying. And so that's how it got created. So there you go. Well, you know, Mike, real quick, sorry. I was talking to my wife yesterday as we went to, did a little clothes shopping. And was reminded of, it's popped into my mind, these boots that my dad bought me one time.
I told him, I want some boots for jeans. Comes home. They come up to about my knee. Oh, my gosh. Like a girl's, like, they're black. Hey, they're black boots. They came up to about my knee. They were very narrow. And they were rounded. Oh, my gosh. And I got them for Christmas. And I totally, it popped in my head. I go, I got to remember to tell Mike about my English riding boots that my dad bought me. You're an equestrian, dude. I'm not kidding. They were from, like, the Gap or Banana Republic. They couldn't have been more than $14, though. Oh, dude. And I remember pulling them on, and those SOBs came up way higher than mid-calf. Oh. Way higher. That's humiliating. We've all been there, dude. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Gosh. We've all had to do the dumb stuff. They were so narrow. Word of the Day's Valley, and I'll say it between now and 10. Caller 9, when you hear it, get to go see City and Caller. We played a filthy prank on Chris. Filthy. Filthy.
Really bad. It was a prank. And I am not fond of pranks. I don't like to have them done to me. I might in a couple of years. But you enjoyed them. I think they're funny. Yeah, if it ain't you, they're always good. If it isn't me, why do I find them funny? Because they're genius. Yesterday we told Chris, our little phone screener that's the sweetest person that we know. Virgin. Shut up, Jay. Don't say that. He's shaking his head. Poor Chris. I know, man. I said to Jay the other day off the air, I go, don't say that. That's rude. And he goes, he likes it. He's fine with it. He likes it. It's our bit. It's our banter. And I go, what do you mean he likes it? He goes, I asked him. I was like, hey, is that cool? And he was like, yeah, man, it's fine. Do whatever. I'm like, what is he going to say to you? Actually, no, dude. I don't like it when you call me a virgin. Pure as a driven snow. Gosh. So anyway, we decided that one of the things that Chris does, well, he does about a billion things, but one of the things he does is upload our podcast. And so we got Garrett in on it. We had this big elaborate thing and we had him come in here and we told him that he left dirty words in there.
and that the FCC was going to get us and that, you know, it would have been way more visual. It's pretty good hearing it. He's quiet a lot of it. Yeah, he is. And, oh, my gosh. Garrett did a great job. Garrett was great. He dropped the freaking hammer. Oh, yeah. He was scary. Scared me. Scary. So, anyway, we're going to play that in 20 minutes at 7. World Series last night. It's exciting. It's exciting for me. Well, I mean, what's happening? I mean, it's not bad with what happened last night, right? Yeah, it was a very close game. I'll let Joe Buck tell you how it ended, Miguel. It's cut one there. And now the next for Kyle hits it in the air to right. Here is Nelson Cruz and a comeback win for the Texas Rangers. as they tie this best-of-seven series at a game apiece. It is. Yeah, so they basically stole home field advantage by getting a win in St. Louis. Their bats were really quiet all night. It was a pitcher's duel. It was a really good game. And the Rangers scored two in the ninth, man. Two sack flies by Michael Young and Josh Hamilton. And Rangers get the win 2-1. There you go. Yeah, it's tied 1-1. They are heading back to Arlington for Game 3 on Saturday.
Oh, real quick, too. This was a really weird story that came out of the Texas Rangers Hotel. Staff members in the hotel found a dead body. A housekeeper discovered the body of a dead woman bound and gagged in a six-floor bathroom of a Holiday Inn Thursday afternoon. Two questions. One, why are the Rangers staying at a Holiday Inn? That's my first question. And where were they playing? In St. Louis. Probably to fool the public. You think? Why are they staying at a Holiday Inn? Why are they staying at a Holiday Inn? Is my, honestly, my number one question. Maybe someone dropped the ball and all the rooms were booked from the plans. But police are saying there's no connection between the victim and the Rangers personnel who are in town for the World Series. Wow. That's pretty freaking creepy, though. Ew, that is creepy. And I really want to know why they're at a Holiday Inn. Me too. And that's the best they could do? I mean, you get a Holiday Inn. Dude, Spring for Sheraton. How about the Omni? Times are hard. You know? Jay's part owner. Yes. Here's some raw footage that was supposedly taken right before Gaddafi was killed from Fox Azira or whatever. Firefight going back and forth. That doesn't sound at all scary, does it? Pretty scary. He's just dazed and just kind of. Yeah, I haven't seen any of it yet, but L.O.B. says it's crazy. It's crazy. And it just makes me think like.
It makes me even more grateful than ever to be born here. I'm like, can you imagine if that was your reality, that kind of violence? I mean, he's a bad dude, and it's good that he's gone. But still, that's what they had to build up. That's their reality. Old America ain't so bad, is it? Now, this is raw audio of Hillary Clinton. She's getting ready for a CBS interview, and she's informed of the Gaddafi news while she's getting ready for this interview. Wow. Unconfirmed. Yeah. Unconfirmed reports about Gaddafi being captured. Unconfirmed. Yeah. We've had too many. We've had a bunch of those before. We've had, you know, have had him captured a couple of times. Then we were saying the same thing yesterday. We didn't want to say it was official until it was official. Right. Some strong wording from Hillary Clinton. So, I mean, that is the land of unconfirmed. Yes, we came. We saw. He died. Did it have anything to do with your visit? No. I'm sure it did. Wow. Did that creep anybody out? Yeah. Yes. That creeps me out. Just looking at that lady creeps me out. Now she has long hair. It's very weird. It's very weird to me. She has long hair. Longer hair. It's longer than it's ever been, actually. Longer than it's ever been. And it's, hey, it's freaking weird to see.
Is it like Pippi Longstocking and she's put it in braids? No, but it's like below the chins. And for her, she always had this. Why are you abusing her so much? You're just after her. I meant my chins. Oh, below my chins. Got it. I think her people are telling her she's got to compete with the little beauty pageant politicians out there, like Sarah Palin's, Michelle Bachman's. They're like, hey, you know, you're kind of seen as like a. True. She's getting a breast augmentation now. Well, that and they said, hey, look, because of the popularity of toddlers and tiaras, we're going to dress you up like one of these five-year-old pageant queens. Yes. Imagine her coming out in a little dress. You know, just bright red lipstick. That's her new life. She doesn't address it. What? All right. More Libyan rebels unless it creeps me out. All right. That'll do it. So there you go. Now, here is the L.A. County Sheriff. His name is Lee Baca. And he is talking about what happened with Lindsay Lohan. Not showing up to the coroner's office where she had to do her service. Lohan was supposed to appear here this morning. She had an 8 o'clock appointment. We received a call at 20 minutes to 8 advising that she was actually 10 minutes away.
Did not show at 8 o'clock and did not show up till 8.20. We notified the volunteer center that she was a no-show and they in turn will let the judge know. At approximately 8.40, she did show up at the back of our building and was turned away and is not here and is not working today. It will be up to the volunteer center and the judge to decide if she, in fact, will be allowed to return. Why was she turned away? Why was she turned away? Because she was late. Her representative released a statement saying that she was late because of the media and because she couldn't find the entrance. She's been here before, and she was given directions, and she, as far as we know, she knows how to get here. And she was told to be here before 8 o'clock, and she did not show up. The representative also says she is coming back to orientation tomorrow and that everything's been cleared up. That, I don't know. Yeah, she was told that she can try again today, but she's going to have to be there at 7. So she should be arriving there at the coroner's office as a part of her community service about now or within the next 14 minutes. If she doesn't, she's busted.
Yesterday on Twitter, she said, I'm sorry for the confusion I may have caused to those at the coroner's office. Won't happen again. Now I know where to go. Dude, we played the audio of the judge yesterday saying to her, listen, she said, you need to have your butt there and you need to work two full days this week starting tomorrow morning. She missed the first. Freaky. Yeah. Put her in jail. Is it possible that she wants to go? No, no, you don't think? She's still, I think, in denial. Like, she wants to just be like a kid and not have any worries. I think she's like, don't you know who I am? Could be. I just wondered, like, you know how sometimes when, like, a criminal, they get sloppy at the end of their career because they want to get caught? Yeah. I just wonder if she's to that point where she's like, oh, maybe I'll go to jail and I clean up. I know. No way. That's not true. She could put herself in a real nice place, I think, to end up. She could go to Promises in Malibu. Yeah, that's true. That's true. I think she's been there. I think she has, too. I think she doesn't have as much dough as she used to. Oh, I know she doesn't. Yeah. I know that for a fact. What a moron. I hacked into her bank account. Woods asked if I was dressing up. And it's L-O-B, too. Mm-hmm. When is Halloween?
It's the 31st. Ten days from today. That's a Monday, but we want to celebrate that Friday, the 28th. Why? Because the studio audience will be in here. So then on Halloween, we won't dress up? We'll act like it didn't happen. Right. Chris just laughed wildly at that. I don't blame him for people laughing wildly at that. I mean, it doesn't, you know. It's Friday's the party day. Everybody knows that. Yeah. It's a slut's day. Yes. Whoa. Well, it's a day where I think that a lot of women feel like they can dress provocatively and it's okay. And they play it off like, what? It's just my costume. It's Halloween. It's Halloween. I didn't mean, oh my gosh, like I'm trying to show my boobs off. That's how they sell it. That's how they sell it. That's how they sell it. You can't get a regular B costume. Right. This is the way they are. You have to be a slut bee is what you have to be. Right. This is the way they come and I couldn't do anything about this. I'm supposed to get a ball gown to be Snow White. I mean, come on. You know, what do you want me to do? This is the modern Snow White. Yes, she wears garters. It's no big deal. No big deal. Is it all right for dudes to really dress up for Halloween or isn't it kind of dorky? Really? The cool dudes dress up. Well, to get super into it, it's kind of dorky. Although Matt wants to be an airplane.
Well, why? You're going to think I'm a monster. Oh, wow. Oh, boy. Uh-oh. What did you do? Well, I like to do the duo. We're like, hey, we're a couple. Monster. Torture. And so, and when Adrian had said before that we look like the Kennedys, like JFK Jr. and Caroline or Carolyn or whatever, and I was like, oh, we should be the dead Kennedys, and we should be like, we should look like zombies and have like parts of a plane coming out of us. That girl right there is something else. Parts of a plane. Because they died in a plane crash. Let me ask a question. Has there ever been a guy who said, babe, can we please go? I'm sure. I'm sure there has. That's the dork guy. The guy that's like, I want to be Shaggy, you be Velma. Okay, but he's not a dork though if the...
If his chick came up with the idea. Yeah, he's kind of still a dork. No, no. If you're our age, isn't it supposed to be about, oh, I'm there because I want to see good looking girls? No, you got to have a good outfit. Wait till you guys see mine. You're going to be just ecstatic. Really? My costume on Friday. I can't tell you. Why? That's the bit. Because since we have to dress up, I'm going to dress up. Yeah. I'm not dressing up unless you tell us right now. Come on. You tell us I will. No! You tell us I will. I don't want to ruin the surprise. I'll do it. I'm not telling you mine, but I have a feeling you guys are not going to be able to figure out what it is, and then I'm going to be really upset. Oh, boy. That bit. The vague costume. Yeah, the vase-stune. Who are you? It's called the vase-stune. I bought it like six months ago when it was relevant. Oh, no. Six months? I don't know. A month ago. I know what it is. She's going to be Casey Anthony. And it's too late. It's too late. It's too late. Yeah. It's too late. It's too late. I don't know. Wait a minute. Is it when she was in the hot body contest? Or was it when she was trying to be incognito? Okay. It was either hot body. There's hot body Casey. There's trial Casey. And then there's in hiding Casey. Yeah. What about when she murdered her daughter Casey? Oh, gosh. Woods. Woods. Are you going to do that one? No, I'm not.
Why are you in your coffin? Because that creeped me out. It was a very shock, shock thing to say. Yes, I know you have a cheerleader outfit. That's true, which will never be worn again. I'll give that back to you if you want it, Jay. Has your boyfriend brought that up? He did that night, like, joking. Like, I was mortified because his dad and my brother showed up right when I got on stage. And I told him that I was mortified and that that would never be worn again. And he was like, walnut, one time. Oh, yeah, you can wear it at least once. Come on. Make it real right. Megaphone. It's mortifying. And a pom-pom. 30-year-old woman dressed up as a cheerleader. Hello. Nothing wrong there. Hey, guys. Hi. How do I make LB not be mad at me for, I think I guessed, and I shouldn't have. I shouldn't have guessed. I think I guessed, and I shouldn't have guessed. We didn't get it? No. That wasn't it? I didn't get it? No. No, you guys didn't guess. I'm not going to be really Casey Anthony. No. Kate Middleton. Maybe. Is that it? Yeah. No way! Oh, my God! Are you kidding me? Kate Middleton. Why did I say that? How did I know? Why didn't I lie? How did you know that? I don't know. I don't. I honestly, six months ago, I'm like, Royal Wedding, but her wedding day? No. There's no way. How would we know? How would we know?
Well, if she was in a wedding gown and the brown hair, maybe. Maybe. Wow. It's one way to get into a wedding gown. I just guessed it. I wish I would have lied. Why did I tell the truth? Yeah. I should have been like, no. Woods, what are you going to be? I can't tell you. It's come clean time. She just came clean. I'm going to be a ghost. You jerk. You jerk. I'm getting a white sheet. I'm cutting two freaking holes. I'm going to be a ghost. You got to leave it on. I've always wanted to be. Are you going to talk through a sheet? Yes. The whole day. You shouldn't even get a white one. You should get like a flowered one. A flowered one. Yeah, I'm going to be. So the World Series looks like things are tied up. Oh, my gosh. More like the KKK. Well, never mind. Scratch that idea. Oh, my gosh. Jay. Holy smoke. How is it more like the KKK? Well, it's Woods in the sheet. What does that mean? I love black people in all races. Is he fresh out of the dentist and he's on the gas?
Gosh darn, dude. Holy crap. Sleep and rewind. I just want to be a ghost. Oh my gosh. I was going to do that. If you wear it, then it's like your Grand Dragon, man. Come in here on a horse and burn it across. I just want to be a ghost. That was definitely strongly worded. Hey Woods, you want to borrow my David Duke costume? Seriously. We all know what racist you are. Dang. My goodness. Sicko. So what are you going to be, Mikey? Don't say t-shirt guy or a Mexican. Don't. Don't. Don't. I know you have a Captain America. Well, then I won't say it. Captain America. Captain America. I'm not putting up. You are, and you are, and you are. You have to. I'm going to be a mammogram machine.

We played a little joke on little Chris yesterday. Yes, we did. We even had our boss in on it. And our boss is Garrett. And we had Garrett come into the studio and pretend that we were going to get an FCC fine because of a podcast. Chris does our podcasts. And the idea is that Garrett's going to tell him that he left cursing. in the podcast and that we can get in a lot of trouble. And so that's what this is. We're going to toughen him up, my man. So here you go. Take a listen. Hey, can I come in? G-Money. What up? Sorry to interrupt. Are we listening to the podcast before we put them up? So you know, Chris isn't in the room. We had this so elaborate. We're in our studio. Chris is separated by glass.
And we have Garrett doing this. Chris, come in here. Oh, poor little Chris. Poor sweet Chris. Little angel. Hi, hon. Morning. Hi, hon. So when Garrett comes in, are you thinking nothing of it? Or are you thinking, what's going through your head when you see Garrett walk into the studio? Because we're talking serious. We were having a serious conversation. Sometimes he comes in and is joking. We were all very paying attention to him. I just thought it was a normal meeting. Not a normal meeting. So Chris is in the other room and I can see Chris. If I wave, he'll look at me. You're supposed to be in charge of that, right? Chris is doing that now. There's profanity. There's cursing on the podcast. You know, we can be on the hook big time from the FCC for this. So we got to get this. I mean, are you supposed to be doing the podcast? What you couldn't see there is I motioned to Chris, got his attention. He looked at me and I was like, I gave him this look like, dude, you better come here. You better come here. Yes, I do the podcast. So you listen to stuff before you put it up? I'm listening to the show. I did tell you to listen to. You should be listening to the podcast before you post it. Now, you have to know this. You have to know this.
Before we did it, we decided that both L.O.B. and Jay were going to completely throw Chris under the bus. Like, they were going to go. I know. I know. Both of them, they agreed. They were both going to go on this thing where they were like, we're just going to, like. No allegiance. No allegiance. We're just going to slay him. Turn him in. Listening through the entire podcast? Yeah, and dude, I gave it to you in writing that that was part of your responsibility. Send me an email? I see. Well, I gave it to you in the sheet of bone listener whatever interaction. Why? What happened? I don't remember that. I got a phone call from some irate woman who was apparently listening to the podcast at work, and there's like a couple F-bombs on it. And she's flipping out, and then, of course, got to look into it. I'm trying to figure out, how did it get here? Why is it there? And, you know, I mean, we're on the hook for a lot of money. You got to understand something. The FCC stuff. Garrett goes from kind of looking at us. And at that point, he goes, he turns at Chris in his hand motions. And his hand motions. Yeah. And he's like, listen, listen, listen. We're not. Whether we're in the wrong or in the right. A mess up or whatever. If somebody complains to the FCC, we're on the hook. We're done. We're done. We're done. We pay a fine, right?
Oh, dude, at the last station I was at, we had to fire a guy. Oh, no, dude. For an FCC violation? Yeah, bro. That stuff is like, that is the, I mean, that's the kind of stuff that can close doors on a radio station. That's the first thing you do. You fire the guy. Doesn't it record that? What is happening in your head at this point? I am spinning. I don't know what's going on. I find it so weird that OB and Jay are attacking me. Garrett is just looking at me with his eyes. The other thing, too, is that Jay says to him, it's in that stack of papers that doesn't exist that he never gave him. And so Chris is probably thinking, well, I can't, like, disagree with Jay. Like, I just have to go, oh, yeah, sure, I remember you gave me that. He was, like, searching in my eyes for some sort of, like, help me out. Can you please help me? And I just couldn't look at him. No, yeah, and L.O.B. is just like...
throwing him under that bus. It records what is not being done. So it's, what is that, a pre-delay? Just double talk. That's why he has to go through it. Seriously, I have no idea. I'm so sorry. I'll fix it. I'll listen to the podcast before I put them up. Dude. Well, why has nobody told him that he had to go through? Hey, I've got it in writing. I did. I think I told you. I said, sorry, Chris. And then Jay's like, sorry to drop you on this, bro, but, you know, I mean, you've got to do what I've got to do, man. I've got four kids, all right? And LLB is just throwing it out there, too, like, hey, Chris. I said, sorry, Chris. Sorry. But I did tell you. Oh, my God. Twice, actually. Twice, actually. Twice, maybe like three times. Did you write him? Jay did. Jay put out the instructions. I copied you on that, too. Because he told me about what happened at the last place, and I was terrified about losing my job. We get tagged. We'll end up paying the fine and have to fire your ass. Or somebody's ass. Maybe everybody's ass. I got scared. I got scared. It scares me. And it could be my ass. I don't want to get my ass fired. I definitely don't. I know. We could all get fired. Mikey. Oh, my God. They want to make an example of you. Maybe 75 grand.
He said three times. It's $25,000. Oh, Chris, dude, you've got to check that thing. I'll be checking it from now on. Sorry, I'll go back. Did she go to the FCC? No, no, no. She didn't say that. She didn't say that. She was flipping out. And what I'm afraid of is somebody is going to go to the FCC. So here's what we need to do. I need you. I don't care who does it. You all can do it. We've got to go back. We've got to check this stuff. We've got to check it now. I want you to spend your time. Since we started? Yeah, absolutely. We're on 381 shows. Yeah, I mean, and all... Well, it's 381 times four. Yeah, if you guys feel like you're safe, not getting... But L.O.B. told him. I'm sure that all the stuff we have up until he took over is good because I did what I was trying to do. Oh, man. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Chris, what are you... Are you like, why, L.O.B.? Why? What did I do? What did I do? What did I do? Is this really happening right now? Oh, my God. Yeah.
Chris, I don't know. I mean, obviously, you didn't hear me or you didn't. Well, Jay copied. Yeah. I got an email in there. I can show you. Oh, gosh. It's a huge, huge deal. Woods, this makes Woods oddly uncomfortable, which kind of surprised me. I'm looking at Woods and Woods is like, oh, man, gosh, I just feel bad. I just feel bad. I just feel bad. Chris, here's the thing, bro. Like I said, last station, somebody got fired over it. And this station, you've just been had. What do you mean? We're just kidding. Again. Again. Again. Again. Do you see that? We're so mean. We are monsters. I feel bad. And I pull out the, I had the little recorder sitting here, and I pull it out, and I show them the thing. I'm like, you see this? Monsters. Monsters. We're so mean. We love you. Park was racing bad, but it was. My heart's racing, hearing it again. Wasn't my idea, Chris. Wasn't it? It was 100%. You're the best. Jay's idea. He likes it. He didn't want to tell Chris at the end. He wanted Chris to think the whole day that he had to start on podcast. He would have gone home and started listening day one. There was a debate with Jay for probably a half an hour about
At the end of it, dude, I want to tell him that we're just messing with him. And Jay's like, no. No. Matt, don't. Let him hear it on the air. Yeah. Do it live. And I go, dude, it's not fair. We got it. And he's like, oh, boy. Oh, great. Really? Yes, I would have started right away. Yeah, I would have listened to day one for four hours. I was like, I said. You do it while you work out? Do it whenever you need to do it. What is 381 times 4, by the way? That's how many hours he'd have to listen to. Oh, my God. Just kidding. I can quickly tell you. 381 times 4. You would only have to be listening to 1,524 hours of podcast. Oh, my God. That's it, though. Wait. No. 15,000, right? No? No. 1,000. That's insane. What's insane is that we've been on the air for 1,524 hours. That's true. That's a long time. Well, if you don't count the Mikey thons. Mikey thons. That's true. Gotta add 28 to it. What a great prank. I have the worst poker face. Oh, I can't do it, man. He was biting his pen the whole time. Yeah, looking away. By the way, that is 4 minutes and 19 seconds. The actual thing was longer. Yeah.
Because it was elaborate. But I was like, you know, I told Jay this morning, I'm like, we got to edit this down. And Jay's like, there's some good stuff. And I'm like, I know, but it already, I mean, it made me so uncomfortable. It was like seven minutes of berating him. And I was like, wow. And the fact that he believed that we could be that mean, I was like, whoa. I like just the fake stuff. Lauren's like, well, no, it doesn't record that because it's pre-delay. And Mike said, yeah, dude, it's pre-delay. If that's in pre-delay, there's no way. There's no way. Well, wait a minute, though. It depends on if our take-up amp. But is Odyssey on on that? Odyssey's not on. It's not on? Then, yeah, you're screwed. We're screwed. It's compression. The compression. It's compression. The compression's not going to take care of anything. But wouldn't it, though, if Voxpro is running? No, no, no, no. That has nothing to do with it? Here's the deal. If Odyssey is running through Voxpro. Right. We're fine. But Vox Pro doesn't kick in if we're not in program. If we're not in program. And we're always in auditions. Who is supposed to hit in program? Chris. Chris. You've got to put it in program when you do the podcast. I check array one and two. Didn't put it in program. Turn the harmonizer off, dude. Jeez. It's 101, man.
It's Radio 101. First day. Hello. Harmonizer off when you're doing podcasts. I wanted to cry being like, I told him to actually probably three times. Sorry, Chris. I gave it to him in writing. It hurt a little, but it's okay. We love you. It's all out of fun. And love. Much love. Glad we told him. 570-1949. You can go screen phone calls, my friend. Great job, buddy. We're sorry. We love you. How long is that going to take? 381 times 4. That was a brilliant line. 1500 hours. That was a brilliant line. Because when he hears 381 times 4, he doesn't know what that number is. All he knows is that it's astronomical and that we're talking about hours. We're not talking about minutes. He's going to have to listen. If he doesn't want the doors to be shut on... FM 94.9. And fire. The other thing I found very amusing is, since when do we ever drop F-bombs on the air? You know what I mean? Or really, since does anybody? Well, for him, it's sometimes on the phone, callers will. I said to him, don't you write down when we say that we push the dumb button? I thought... But doesn't it record it? The thing with the thing. Brilliant. And Jay gave you a stack of papers. It's in the mail. It's in the mail.
And Chris does get stuff from Jay. So I'm sure he was like, I guess, I guess. He's just going to take the, he's sitting there going, I got to take the bullet. Right. For these guys. Yeah. I got to take the freaking bullet. Because they clearly, this isn't my fault. No, I didn't do anything wrong. But they're making it my fault. I got to take the bullet for these guys. Oh, man. And he did. Because he's an angel. Of course he did. Our number is 570-1949. People do not wait three days to get in touch with a date anymore. It's not the new bit. Hasn't been for a while, actually. Study Match.com. All right? What they found is that now it's a day and a half. And it's not even a phone call. Email. Or text. Come on. Yeah. Oh, sweet. Hi, I know you met me at Stingaree the other night. I got your number. Do you want to go out for coffee? Stupid, dude. Pick up the phone. Yeah, well, the thing is... I have a job to do. I'm looking at stuff, Matt! I just went numb. I just went numb. I just went numb. I just went numb. I just went numb. I just went numb. I just went numb. He's doing the work bit now. Yes. I'm working out here. Let's put a camera on, Jay. Yeah, please do. That guy's got his own TV show happening in there. There's no question. He's a reality show. I want one.
I look over at Jay. He's got a big grin on his face. He's probably looking at some disgusting website. Yes. And I look at Woods and Woods looks over at him and starts laughing. And then I give the hand like, let's go ahead and see how long he's going to look without noticing that we're not talking. I'm reading the text messages that are coming in. Somebody has to go through them to make sure that the ones about me get on the air. During break, you could do that. Oh, really? Oh, no. Anytime. And then you guys want to switch positions. I'm all in. We need you on the air, Jay. I was on the air. I was letting Mikey talk. That's right. Let's talk. Yeah. Reverend Mikey doing his spiel. You know him. Jay, we were talking about dating. Yeah, I know. I like dating. Yeah, hey, I was just waiting for more people to file into the pews. Let's talk, by the way. So, yeah, Match.com says it's a day and a half woods. What's wrong with it? It's very impersonal. Guess what? People like it. No, they don't. Yeah, they do. What are you, 16-year-old? Really? Hey, let's go get coffee, LOL. OMG. Stupid, dude. Pick up the phone. Yeah, let me be masculine. Be a man. Nothing's better than getting a voicemail from somebody that you like and hearing their voice and hearing them like...
Say funny things. Text. You just gave me a great idea. I wish that this could be an invention. I wish that you had a way to go to someone's voicemail. There is. There is? No, no, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. So that the caller makes that decision. Yeah, there is. There is? There is like an app or there's something that you press before you dial. Somebody call in because we talked about it before. 570-1949. If anybody knows. that if you are calling somebody and you do not want their phone to ring, you want to go directly to their voicemail, tell us how to do it. I've never heard of that. I'll never talk to you again. Some of my friends might have that. Either that or I go out of service area a lot because sometimes I'll just have a voicemail and I'm like, huh? Well, yeah, L-O-B, it's that you don't pick up your phone. Right. That's a big part of it. That's part of it. If you guys called me, you would notice that I've gotten a lot better. Can I tell you this? Can I tell you this? One time. I was driving beside my friend Lauren O'Brien, and I called her, and I'm looking at her, and I'm looking at her. Didn't pick that phone. It was probably on silent in my purse. It's probably listening to Bob Marley real good, as loud as it can go. It's blasting Buffalo Soldier. That's my space. My space. That's her bit. It's her space, and she's allowed. I get in the car, I jam out.
Trying to call my friend. Yeah. She's in there loud as it'll go. And I'm like. You're waving at her. Yeah, I'm waving. I'm like, yeah, look at who's not picking up. Yeah, great. She's just sitting there. She's having a great time. Leave a message. Yeah. I don't have to see those D's till Monday. No more Mikey. I got the. No more Mikey. M1 Russell from San Diego. Yes, sir. You are saying there really is an app for this. Yes, there is. And it's called what? Which is H-E-Y-T-E-L-L. H-E-Y-T-E-L-L. We all wrote it. Yes, I've heard of that. Hey, tell.
So, wait a minute. Yes. Is this, is everybody writing it down? Yes. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Why are you writing it down, Woods? That's impersonal. Well, there's certain people. There's certain people. But it's still a phone call. Yeah. Still a phone call. Listen, if you meet a girl in a bar and you get her number and you call her, leave her a voicemail. Don't send her a text or an email. Yeah, I agree. It's a chicken ass. It works like a walkie-talkie type of deal. Like, you push, you hold the button down, you say your message, and that message transfers over, like, in a version of, like, a... Like a text message, kind of. Wait. Well, no, no, no. That's not what we want. We want a voice. Right. We want a voicemail. Well, it shows up as, like, it's not a text message. What happens is... Here, I'll read the description. But it comes in as an audio clip? It says, Heytel is a cross-platform voice messenger that allows you to instantly talk with friends and family. No account needed. It's free. You start the app, you choose a contact, and push the button and start talking. Send and receive voice messages with other Haytel users with the press of a single button. Voice messages are quicker than SMS and they're free. Very low data usage, no more than sending an email. Well, the thing that kind of bugs me is that the person you're doing this to has to have the same program installed.
Well, maybe it shows up as like an attachment in a text or something. That's not the same thing as a voicemail. Yeah, I want to leave a voicemail. It would be nice to just, Rebecca's phone doesn't ring, but I get voicemail and I can go, I can sing to her and go, I love you, my lady. And I'm your knight in shining armor. And I love you. Or I could go. You don't bring me flowers. You don't sing me love songs. You hardly talk to me anymore. And you just lay on the floor at the end of the day. And I remember when you used to say you love me. You used to say you need me.
I learned how to laugh and I learned how to cry. I love you, babe. Beep. Just like that. Wouldn't that be great? Yeah. Is that a true statement? Do you do that? I've never done that, no. Oh, boy. I like to leave the little funny things. I'll have a funny one in my head and then the person picks up. I'm like... I tried to get Mike the other day with a fake J call. The one time he answers his phone. Hello, hey, buddy. Oh, wait, wait, wait. You just reminded me. I did for the first, I think probably the first time in years, I left Rebecca a funny message. Good bit. Yeah, and the only reason was because it was true. I was driving home, and this usually doesn't happen, but I had to pee so bad that I genuinely considered urinating in my pants. It was that bad. Holy cow. It was that bad. And so I called her, and I said, babe. I'm kind of harched up on one leg right now in this position. I said, because I have to pee so bad that I feel like I'm considering just doing it, but I won't. Because that would be admitting a lot to myself. And I'd laugh right now, but I know if I laugh, I'll soil myself. And so I usually don't do that. So it's called slide aisle.
It's sly dial. Sly dial. S-O-B. We all reach for our phones. I know. I just got freaking hate. All of you guys that are like, it's so impersonating. Oh, boy. You dial 267-759-3425 from any landline or mobile phone. And at the prompt, at the voice prompt, you just enter the number you want to send it to. The easiest pie. Say it again. All right. I'm going to try it right now. All right. Try it with me. Are you sure it's not sly dial? That's what he said, yeah. He did say sly dial? Yes. Sly dial lets you connect directly with another person's cell phone voicemail, bypassing the traditional ringing process. Okay. It's only got two stars, by the way, which means people hate it. You see something with two stars, it usually tells me it doesn't work. What do you think, Woods? Yeah. Yeah, we'll try it. And if it works? Then we'll do it. Choose a contact, a slide dial. All right. I'm choosing Woods. Okay. I was going to choose you, but then I thought people would go trying to make sex to L.O.B. or something. Steve Woods. All right. And then I'm pressing it. Oh, wow. Anything happening to your phone? No. Your phone's not ringing. Hey. I don't know if it's taping. Nothing's happening. Oh. Oh, my.
That works. Tell him, please record your message. When you finish recording, you may hang up or press one for more options. Hey, dude, what's up? It's Bauman. Give me a call when you can. I'll tell you about this cute little angel I met. That's a true voicemail. Yeah. All right. I'm just going to say one word to you. Perfection. Did anything light up on your phone? Yeah, it said unknown. Oh. So you got a call. Yeah, I got a call. It said unknown. Well, that's BS then. Yeah. Bunch of BS. Oh, it came up as unknown. Yeah, that's a bunch of BS. And you sent it to voicemail? It said new voicemail. That's why it rated so low, probably. Oh, gosh. I'm late. Oh, my gosh. Oh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, wow. Oh. Goodness gracious. Oh, boy. A friend of mine told me about this bit. We're going to try this. I can't believe I was asked.
to blank while I was babysitting. Were you asked to do something weird when you were a babysitter? And no, that's not... Oh boy. It could be. Well, I called them because I called my regular car insurance to pay my six-month premium, and it almost doubled before I even, I don't even exactly know why. Once I found out, it seemed to be a big surprise to me as to why it increased. So I remember hearing AIS all the time on the Mikey show, so I go ahead and give him a call, and within like half an hour, AIS found a company that had the same coverage. half the price of the new premium of my old insurance. So they ended up saving me like $600 in 25 minutes. That's amazing. And that is a real story. And the number is 1-800-777-4AIS, 1-800-777-4247. I can't believe I was asked to blank while babysitting. Now, what that means is, seriously?
that's what you're you know they come home or maybe it's not even before they come home they say to you can you uh blah blah blah seriously uh m1 kim from san diego are you there hi hi so what can you not believe what were you asked to do while babysitting well i'm a babysitter so i sometimes um stay home with the dad And one time the dad wanted me to play like I was his wife over the phone so that his mistress would leave him alone. What? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What? Yep, he wanted me to play his wife over the phone. So that his mistress would leave him alone? Yes. Oh, wow. Holy cow. Oh, wow. So what would you have to say?
pretend to yell at him and just say, why are you doing this now? Why are you doing it in front of the kids? And just... Oh my gosh. Holy cow. Oh my gosh. That's creepy. That is super creepy. When he suggested that, did you just flip out? Scared for my life at one point. You were scared for your life? Yeah, because who'd do something like that? A weirdo. But he said, don't worry about it. I'll pay you as much as you want. I need help. Please, please, please. Did you take money to do that? Well, I love his kids. He's a nice guy. So I was just like, okay, maybe, maybe whatever. I was just like, whatever about it. Did you take money to do it? I did. How much money did you take? He gave me like an extra like... 100, 150. Which is it? 100 or 150? 150. Oh, wow. I think you could have gotten a lot more. Yeah, I think you could have too. That is the creepiest. Hey, I need you to do me a favor, Kim. I need you to, you know, my mistress, I'm going to get her on the phone. And I need you to get mad, you know, pretend you're whoever his wife is.
Tell me off. And then tell her to never call again. Yep. What was the mistress's reaction to you? Well, she started just flipping out, too. She was saying, who is this? I've never met her. How do I know this is real? Oh, wow. And then we just kept doing it. And then eventually she just cried and hanged up. Whoa. Oh, wow. You think I would have done that? Oh, boy. No. No. No. So what happened? Did you keep babysitting there? Well, this probably happened about a month ago. And they usually ask me to babysit every month. But this time around, I kind of said, no, I was busy. So I'm just trying to, you know, see if I want to do this again. I just want to stop babysitting if this is going to happen. Yeah, that's way creepy. I would say that's probably not the norm. I babysat for a lot. That never happened to me. Well, of course it's not the norm.
It's the creepiest thing I've ever heard. Well, hey, Kim, thank you. Thank you. That is hardcore. How old was she? I thought counting kids' carbohydrates was weird. And she stayed home with the dad? Like, she said she babysat with the dad? And stayed home with the dad? I mean, if the dad's there... Really? That is weird. You would babysit while the dad, well, doesn't that happen at my house every single day? It's awkward when either one is home because you can't talk to the kids the same way that you would. You can't really discipline them. You can't tell them to shut up? No. You just, you feel awkward disciplining them in front of their parents. He's like, I can never backhand if she's standing right there. Can't take the belt to the back of their knees. You know? I just feel awkward because I'm like, well, they're standing right there. They should be the ones disciplining them, but I guess they're giving me the reins. Kim sounded troubled. A little bit. I think you'd have to be to take money for that. Yeah. I mean, it's a tough position to be put in. Yes. You know what I mean? You've been there a while and they know you. If you have that kind of relationship with the dad, what do you think else is going on? Wow, Jay. It just seems creepy. If you're going to ask your babysitter to break off with your mistress, what else are you going to ask her to do? That is creepy.
She sounded older to me, too. Well, and she said $100, $150. $150. $150. Yep. What are the other $50 it was for? I'll pay you whatever you want. How about a fresh $150? I'll give you a $150 bill. Listen, I need you to do me a favor, okay? This is James Spader. Tina. Yeah? I need a favor from you. Okay. You didn't know this, but I've been cheating on my wife. As you can see, she's sort of a hog, and I needed to do something about it, so I met a girl. I was at the gas lamp having a cocktail with some friends after work, and I just closed a biggie. And I met a girl, okay? And she's discreet, okay? Now... Should I finish making the mac and cheese? Mac and cheese can wait, okay? All right. That's so weird.
This discreet girl's stage name is Montana, and she's going to call in a couple of minutes, okay? And when I pick the phone up, I need you to burst into the room, and I need you to say, what the hell is going on here? I don't feel comfortable, Mr. Spader. I'll give you anything you want, all right? I'll give you any amount of money you want. I just closed a biggie. Okay, so it doesn't matter what the price is. I tell you what. I'm just going to start it out gigantic so that we don't have to sit here and have some sort of moral dilemma about it, okay? Okay. I'm just going to give you a ton of dough. It'll be over. You don't have to talk about it anymore, okay? Okay. I'm going to write you a check that's going to be hard for you to cash, all right? The bank is probably going to call me and say there's someone here trying to cash this large amount. Okay, keep going. I'm going to write you a check for $150, okay? Whoa. And when Montana calls, this is what you're going to do. The whole thing is the skeeviest thing I've ever heard. Very. M1 grass grower from Encinitas. Are you there? I'm here. What was the word of the day? Valley. That is correct. Thank you. You are going to see City in Color, November 8th, House of Blues. Hang on the line, please. Awesome. Thank you.
Ella B., were you ever asked to do anything? Well, I was saying the weirdest one was when I had to count the carbohydrates for the kids and clean the house. You had to count the carbohydrates? Yeah, I had to, like, count their protein and carbohydrates and stuff like that. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, and it was, like, in addition to, here's the dishes, here's the lights. You can do a load of that. Okay, now pause. I'm going to pause right there. Okay. Now, if I'm wrong, I'm a monster. And I'll admit it. I'll say, all right, you got to take deep inventory and you are, you got to take a look at some things. If I'm wrong, was she a white woman? Yes. Guaranteed. Now, if I, if this is what gets me about racism, this is what gets me about racism. Mike, that is racist. Why is it racist? Well, because you just. Generalized. Assumed. You assumed a person's race based on their behavior. So let me get this straight, Mike. If somebody is buying a burrito, are they a Mexican? No, it doesn't mean that. So if somebody is eating barbecue, are they black? No, not necessarily. But the thing is, in the context of humor.
The fact that a white woman asked L.O.B. to count carbohydrates is pretty gosh darn good. Yeah, it's pretty gosh darn funny. You know who don't do it? A Mexican mom. A black mom. More than likely. An Asian mom. More than likely. Maybe they should. Hey, Mike, just think if one Mexican mom had counted some carbs. Yeah, like yours. Think how different things would be. Boy, wouldn't it have been great if she'd have counted? Fat crams, fat calories, sugars. Who can count that high? LB, how much did you get paid? Sometimes two, sometimes three dollars an hour. What's the going rate? How old were you? I was like 16 and I was making... You were 16 and they paid you two to three dollars an hour? That's criminal. I was like kind of the neighborhood babysitter. I was like the it girl when it came to babysitting. LB, no big deal. LB, that's not...
That is not a fair wage. Trust me, I didn't want to keep doing it, but I didn't know how to, like, I was a kid dealing with adults. Did your mom and dad know how much you were making? Yes, my mom got on the phone with her. Oh, yeah. I would light her up. Oh, yeah. Because you were doing more than just babysitting. Hell, yeah. I was like a nanny slash housekeeper, and I was 16 making $2 to $3 an hour. That's unbelievable. Yeah, that's not fair. You make four hours, you make $8? Holy cow. $8. Sometimes, like, she probably would have rounded that up to $9 or $10. Oh, lucky you. Yeah, exactly. Here's a fresh 10. But if it was like a long day, it was $2 an hour. Do you remember what the carbs were or like how much steak? This was like a while ago, but it would be like grape nuts. And you looked on the side of the box. And like stone wheat crackers. And I just wanted to be like, why don't you portion this out before you go? And she'd be like, then write down how many she ate. Because then when I make dinner, I have to base, you know. based on what she ate for her snack or something like that. Was the kid large? No, they were little tiny kids. Are you kidding? Of course not. No, they count calories. Dude, yeah. She takes her own food to birthday parties. Of course, dude. No question. Salmon. And it was the weirdest. Like, you know, when you go to babysitting, you want the good stuff that the other kids eat. Sure, yeah. And it would be like, like I said, those stone wheat crackers. Oh, boy. And like, lox.
Like the weirdest stuff in there. I'd be like, great. Yeah. It's an eight year old eating a lock. Yeah. My kids make about 15 bucks an hour. Yeah. Oh yeah. And that's just for one kid. That's good. That was in at the time. Now this is in the nineties. It was like $5 was standard. Like, and if you were the, the house that did five to 10, you know, depending on, you know, what the night was, it's like, that was pretty good. So to do two or three was, it was unheard of. Nobody else was doing that. So my mom got on the phone, told her off. Oh yeah. Did you continue to babysit? No, I refused. I started crying because my mom was trying to take me to go like drop me off. And I'm like, I don't want to go. And I started crying. And she was like, you have to go. You have a commitment. And I told her everything. This is the first time I told her everything. And she was like, oh, you're not going to babysit for that woman. You were crying because you didn't want. I didn't want to go back over there. It was hell. I had to like it was like picking up a shift. Yeah. to like clean someone's house. And then she would like, if I didn't, if I missed something, she would like yell at me. So yeah, my mom called her and was like, she is not coming back and you are cheap and all this stuff. Yeah. Nice job, mom. I like it. 570-194-9. Yeah. If somebody was underpaying my kid and I found out about it. Yeah. You got a hammer. You got to drop the hammer, right? Now there's some people probably say, well, no, you got to teach your kid to stand up for themselves.
Depending on the kid, Luke would do it in a second, but Ryan's not going to do that. It ruined a relationship for me because the guy didn't walk my daughter out to her car. See, I thought that was odd, Jay. Really? Yeah, I mean. Middle of the night? Well, dude, here's the deal. I would, like when you say walk her out there, I go, well, of course, of course, that's completely appropriate. Right. But there are people that are clueless, and they're not bad. I say that because I'm one of them. You know, I'm clueless. I never got walked out to my car. Yeah, dude. It's one of those things where you go, like when you're clued into it, you go, oh gosh. I want my daughter out to her car at night when she leaves the house now. But yeah, that's your thing. Well, and that's your thing. Yeah, that's your thing. And that's your thing. If you're not going to take care of my daughter in the middle of the night when she's leaving your house at midnight and it's a long walk on a dark road to her car. Yeah. How long? Two blocks. Two blocks. Yeah, because he lives in a, it's not a gated community, but it's a long, whiny road to get in. And then, so there's no parking. There's only parking for residents inside, so you have to park out on the road. And so she had to walk out to where her car was. It was way up a road. Yeah. It's not well lit. Ruined the friendship. We've actually started coming. We're back around. We're talking again. Now, did you say to him? Did you tell him that you're mad at him? It's Jay. She called me. She called her mom and said, hey, will you talk to me on my way out to the car? I'm a little scared.
And I was like, hold the phone. I grabbed my phone. I called him up. And he was like, a little slobbery. I'm like, dude, really? He was slobbery? He was drinking? Yeah, they'd been with his new girlfriend. Been out drinking and come home. And I guess they wanted to get right to business. Can't blame him for that. I can. Business will still be there. Yeah. So lit him up. Of course. Now, on his side. I would be like, yeah, I guess it isn't right. Yeah, I had a couple pops. You should walk a girl out, man. I asked him, I said, when your girl leaves, do you walk her out at night? Of course. Oh, boy. Putting a little more. See, I didn't. You didn't? No, good night. Yeah. You know, good night. Get. I would stand, like, in your house, you'd watch them, make sure they got in their car. Yeah. You'd probably do that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Yes. That's the equivalent. No, you know what? I would walk someone out to their car, but it would be for selfish reasons. You want to see their car? No. It would be because I want to spend maybe some kissing or something like that. With my daughter? Mikey, that is wildly inappropriate. No, I don't mean a babysitter. That is just not cool. Oh, I thought you meant a babysitter. No, no, no. Frinching. No, I'm saying like a girl. Like if you were dating a girl. I feel bad. I didn't do anything, Woods. You're looking at me like I'm a sex offender. Yeah, I mean, walking girls out in the hopes of getting a kiss from a babysitter. You know? But you know that's not what I meant, and you know that. I was seduced by Ashton. Yeah. Wow. Did Ashton babysit your kids? No. I boned Ashton Butcher. Dude! Who hasn't? Easy, Sarah. On FM 94.9. Dude, it's getting really, really nasty. They've already canceled the first two weeks of the regular season. And, yeah, there's no end in sight. Yeah. Well, I only know out of all my friends, I only know one guy, Winder. The only dude I know, he loves basketball. He's really into it. Also, you guys, there is a mass exodus going on at our own Petco Park. Looks like General Manager Jed Hoyer will be leaving the San Diego Padres to go laterally to be the General Manager of the Chicago Cubs so he can work with his good friend, Theo Epstein. Two years he spent here.
He was given a chance, a very young GM by Jeff Morad, given a chance to take the reins and do some good here in San Diego and really stick it out. So he just came in, kicked the city, and now he's like, later. Yeah, I'm going to go to Chicago with his buddy. Theo Epstein from the Red Sox. It all goes back to me. The Red Sox pretty much screw everything up. Oh, wow. I mean, they did it again to our own hometown Padres. Let's hear it for those Boston rips. Maybe if people went out and supported the games, he'd have more to be excited about. Oh, no! We suck again! Grabwood's junk coming up in just a moment. It's not what you think. Isn't it? It is for me. I'm also going to play Marconi Union. which I know many of you are waiting for. That's actually the name of the band that plays that song. They say, don't listen to it while you sleep. I mean, while you drive. Right. So we're going to play it to people in their cars. Yes. Oh, wow. During the morning drive. Didn't think about that. So slap you around. Well, Jay just talked me out of it. Way to go, Jay. I want to hear it, too. I'm going to hear a second of it. Okay. I think people can handle it. But first, big picks for this weekend. Oh, yeah. Big week in the NFL.
San Diego heads to the Jets. Duh. San Diego. I took the Chargers as well, my friend. I don't think you fire the Chargers up with bulletin board material and then don't expect them to come strong. They will. Yeah, not a good move. Seattle's going to Cleveland. Couldn't suck more. And Cleveland comes out a winner at home. Agreed. Atlanta goes to Detroit. Detroit won't be had two weeks in a row at home. They win. We are on the same page, my friend. Detroit. Washington heads into Carolina. And for whatever reason, I don't believe in Carolina. I think that defense is one of the most porous defenses I've seen in a long time. People are running all over them. And I say Ryan Terrain from their skins has a heck of a day. You know, I took Carolina because John Beck, Rex Grossman has been ousted as quarterback. John Beck will be stepping in. I think Cam Newton's been playing very well, even though I haven't been winning. Carolina wins it at home. Chicago Bears going to Tampa Bay. Now, with this game I was thinking about, and I'm going, okay, either way there's going to be a story that comes out of this. Right. The story's either going to be something's wrong with Chicago, or Tampa Bay can't get it together even at home. Yep. And I think the story will be that Chicago, that there's something broken. And I go with Tampa Bay at home. I also took Tampa Bay. I think what's broken is Jay Cutler.
Denver heads into Miami. Denver just traded Brandon Lloyd. And one would think that was going to be a problem. Except they got a guy named Tim Tebow, a quarterback, and the guy's a winner. I take Denver on the road. Yeah, they're honoring Tebow and the National Championship Florida team in Miami that day. That's your boy, Mike. That's your boyfriend. I think your boyfriend's going to pull out a W. My boyfriend. Your friend who's a boy. Okay. Your man crush. Yes. Houston heads into Tennessee. Houston hasn't shown me that they're Houston yet, but this week they do and win on the road in Tennessee. Yeah, Houston wins, no question. Pittsburgh goes into Arizona. I'll surprise everybody. Arizona's 1-4. I say they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. And the reason is because Ken Wisenhunt knows their number and will dial it up at home in Arizona.
You've been smoking peyote again. Pittsburgh beats Arizona handily. Kansas City heads into Oakland, and I guess you can't bet against this Oakland team anymore because apparently they're winning, and I take them again. Yeah, they're looking pretty good. It'll be a nice game for Carson Palmer to come in and start against the Chiefs. Oakland wins. The undefeated Green Bay Packers go to Minnesota, who's only won one game, and I think that's pretty clear Green Bay wins. Yep. St. Louis in Dallas, Texas. I think Dallas at home will be strong. Yeah, they've been up and down all year, I think. But they can handle the 0-5 St. Louis Rams. Baltimore goes to Jacksonville. Duh. Baltimore again. Yep, BMO. Indianapolis is 0-6. They haven't won a game. They go to New Orleans and face Drew Brees Feast. Yeah, New Orleans picks them apart. And in terms of what is the sure bet, the sure thing this weekend, what game can you bet on? That is a sure thing. New Orleans and Indianapolis. I don't think that Drew Brees loses at home against Indy. 100%. Yeah. 100%. So there it is. All right. So I'm going to play this song for you. It's called Weightless. And after that, we're going to play Grabwood's Junk. And all right. So here is the song. They developed it with a bunch of scientists getting together.
to try to teach each other and study the art of relaxation, and here's what it sounds like. Now, you know that this was like, this was a for real study that they took part in. They measured things electronically. They studied people's brains. They did all of this work to come up with that. Sounds like freaking Enya. Yeah, just like Enya. It's identical Enya. Identical. What is this? What's so great about that? I mean, I like it. There's nothing wrong with it. I wonder if the more you go on, because it sounded like the bass drum was kind of like a heartbeat. Yeah. I wonder if it slowed down to kind of get you into that. Well, I was expecting some sort of heroin experience or something. Yeah, it's still just a song at the end of the day. I guess so. It's still just a song. It's a song.
All right, we're going to play Grab Woods Junk. Here's the way that it works. We blindfold L.O.B., and then she's going to reach into Woods' pants, and she's going to see what's in there. Now, a lot of people are saying to themselves, oh, my gosh, what's happened to Mikey? No, it's not what you're thinking. We've got a pair of Woods' pants sitting right here on top of this console, and L.O.B. has put on her blindfold. Gross. It's like Jay's underwear. It truly is. It's some underwear. All right. And what you get to do is. It's the best we could do. What you get to do is take a guess. You'll ask a question first. So you get to ask a question about what she's feeling in Wood's pants. Yes. And whoever gets it right gets a $20 gift card to Smash Burger and a pair of Scream Zone tickets. There you go. All right. M1. Rebecca from Kearney Mesa. What is your question and guess? Put her to sleep. Right to sleep. Put her right to sleep. That's all it took was that song. Wake up, Rebecca. There she is. All right. Rebecca, ask a question about this thing that L.O.B. is touching in Wood's pants. Sorry about that. Is it hard? It's kind of hard. Is it? It is not. It is not an orange. And remember people's guesses.
Remember people's questions and their guesses. That's key. M1 Leslie from San Diego. Hi. Is it warm? It is not warm. M1 Surf Daddy from Solana Beach. You got to let him guess. Clue and a guess. This thing smells. Surf Daddy. The thing in his pants? No, whatever's on my face. Leslie, are you there? Yes. Okay, Leslie, take a guess. Is it a handheld radio? It is not a handheld radio. M1, Surf Daddy from Solana Beach. What's up, guys? What's going on? So does it fit in like the palm of your hand, OB? No, it's bigger than the palm of my hand. You know that. That's true. Longer than that? It's never been. Go ahead, Surf Daddy. Is it a laptop?
It is not a laptop. I would ask questions that have to do with its shape. M1 Twizzle from La Mesa. What's up? What's going on? Got a question? Is it... It is not digital. What's your guess? A remote. It is not a remote. Not bad, though. Not bad. Kind of shaped in the same... length length and yeah it's about as long as a remote m1 deb are you there yes i am is it a cell phone it is not it is not a cell phone m1 red from san diego what is your question all right is it um is it rectangular um i don't know if i well part
Part of it is. The end of it is. And then it goes sort of into like a rounded tip. That's right. All right. Is it a stapler? Not a stapler. It's not a stapler. M1 Mizo Fan from Carlsbad. Mizo Fan, are you there? Oops, sorry. M1 Robert from San Diego. What's your guess? Yeah, sorry, your question. Does it have a lid on it? It does. It does. It does have a twist on lid. Snapper. A twist on lid. And I'm taking you can use it for your mouth. What's your guess? Got it, buddy. Come on. It's like at the tip of my tongue. Doing bits? Oh, weird. Please take a guess. Sounds like Jay. Take a guess, please.
Are your pants off? Yeah. Are you just wearing an acoustic guitar and that's it? He's nude. Nude except for a gold chain? Yeah. I can't believe my mind froze. It was coming. That's good. And we'll see you later. See you, Robert. Thanks. I'm one chef Tom. Chef Tom from Cardiff. Go ahead. Is it Chapman? It is not chapstick. It's longer than my hand. That's right. M1 Patrick from San Diego. Hey, what's up, guys? How's it going? Pretty good. What do you think? Is it a cosmetic? It's not cosmetic. It is not cosmetic. It's... Well, I haven't guessed yet. I know. Go ahead. Is it toothpaste? Yes! It's toothpaste! Nailed it. Nailed it.
No. That's what we wanted. And we wanted that. Thank you. Well done, sir. Hang on the line. That was the hardest one I think we've had to do. No pun intended. Yes. Me too. Oh. But he said, hold on, it's coming. Do you think it was a bit? L.O.B.? Yeah. Hi, L.O.B. That one was, that was, wow. But he said it. I was wondering if he did it on purpose. Is it Artie Lang over here? What? Easy, Howard. Easy, man, Cal. He said it. Let's make some noise in our live studio audience. We're going to be live on Channel 6 at 850, me and L.O.B. And you can watch us on TV. Don't go anywhere. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Text them at 949mikey at gmail.com. Or call Mikey now. The Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. This is the FM. BMW Encinitas has been in business for a long time, and they are truly an awesome place to buy a car or to lease a car. This is the thing that I've said a million times. Come on, man, wake up. Good morning. Wake up. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. For those of you that have never seen me, I'm a short, chunky guy. Woods. I just try not to be the dirty, creepy pig in my head. Lauren. Do you have coconut water? And Jay. I'm wearing cargo shorts right now. On FM 94.9. Let's make some noise in our lives. What was Jay's idea about Halloween that he had that creeped us out? Pregnant belly pumpkin contest. Yeah. This is not creepy at all. It's actually very cool. Girls that are pregnant, they paint their bellies like jack-o'-lanterns. Matt, don't freak out. You paint them like a jack-o'-lantern. He's a sick fetishist. That is a weird fetish. It is not. It's not my fetish. It looks really cool. How many kids do you have? I have four. Aren't you on jack-o'-lantern websites? Yes.
Hasn't every time Kim's been pregnant painted her belly as something different? For you. Just for you. I wish I would have now. Well, when you think about it. Is it really that weird? Yes. It is not weird whatsoever. For our listeners to post their pregnant pictures on our Facebook. Oh, they put it on their own pages anyway. Fine, that's their page. Do they? I don't see any. Do whatever you want. Oh, really? You don't see them on the beach with the husband holding the hands around the belly? Well, yeah, but not with a jack-o'-lantern on the belly. I'll let you do mine if you want. I'd let you do mine. That's two jack-o'-lanterns. Well, here's the deal. Here's the deal, man. It's not like if it's painted like a jack-o'-lantern. You don't even see skin. Right. But why are we... Because it would be cool looking. How about just a cool jack-o'-lantern? Yeah, why the belly? No, do the bellies. Come on, ladies. If you do it, I'll make sure you get a belly. I don't want to see them. I'll come up with a good prize. I don't want to touch it, but I don't want to look at it. Please tell me, is it... It is. It's a fetish. It's not a fetish. It's a fetish. Are you into pregnant bellies? Does that turn you on, Jay?
No. It doesn't. It does not. Now I want to hook him up to a lie detector test and be like, is your name Jay Isbell? Yes. Is your wife's name Kim? Yes. Are you turned on by pregnant bellies? No. Yes. Heartbeat jumps through the roof. I am not turned on by pregnant bellies. No, no, not at all. We're going to be on, it's going to be, LLB and I are going to be on channel, Channel 6, CW6 in just a few minutes. Answering questions on television. We're going to hang out in here. Yeah. Hey, I don't know how to turn this on. That's... I don't know how to... What do you want to turn on? The Skype. You got a few more minutes. Man, I'm not a Skype guy. Are you nervous for this, L.O.B.? A little bit, yeah. Yeah, you should be. Mark and I made amends. Let's explain. You got to explain. But I think it's worthy of an explanation. Yeah. L.O.B.
When we were on television last week, L.O.B. was called Laura. Okay? Now, it was a mistake. It was Mark Bailey, who's the anchor there at CW6. And he made a mistake. And he accidentally called L.O.B. Laura. Well, both of them. Both of them. A couple times. I think it's the producer was out of town, so they may have put you down with the wrong name. Yeah, I think so. And so. It happens a lot. That's why I would say that. So anyway, they kept calling her Laura. And I thought that Laura was really good about it. She didn't say anything. You mean Lauren. So she didn't say anything about it. And so I'm thinking in my head, kind of proud of Laura. And so the segment ends. And we say, okay, guys, all right, thanks, bye. LOB immediately says. Yeah. Somebody want to tell them my name is Lauren? Oh. I. And we were still on television. Oh, yeah. They heard. They heard. Went out on the air. So the.
So the anchor, Mark Bailey, says, sorry, sorry, I'm sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Sorry, Lauren. I didn't know, Lauren. I'm sorry. I heard that. I heard that. I heard that. I heard that. Sorry. But we didn't know. Mariah. Sorry, Mariah. We didn't know because we turned it off. Fergie, I'm sorry, sorry. Really, Woods. So, well, you knew we were still in the air, right? Yeah. But that's why I was being, like, the listeners know. Like, I wasn't trying to be secretive about the. Can you tell them my name is Lauren? I was making a joke. She was making a joke. Now, so what happened was, Mark Bailey's wife calls and says, because she listens to us, and she says, hey, I just texted Mark, and I just told him, you've been calling her Laura the whole time. Her name is Lauren. And he felt terrible. Yeah, he did. And so what did you do? Did you tweet him or did you? I found him immediately on Facebook. I sent him a message and I told him that I was a jerk and that I'm very sarcastic. And I said it on the air on our end, but the way that it cut out after I saw it, it made it look so awkward for them. And I really apologized. And before I even got my Facebook message out, he emailed Jay.
And said, I'm so sorry. I was out the last two weeks you guys did this. And our producer's out as well. And I even said before I went on the air, okay, can I get both of their names? And he was given Laura. And he said one of his pet peeves is calling people the wrong name. Yes. And so what did he write back to you? After I said I was a jerk, he was like, no, you're not. I think it's so disrespectful and looks so unprofessional to call someone the wrong name. We're good, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I was like, I'm still a jerk. What's going to happen when we go on today? I don't know. Will it be addressed? Should you gloss over it? I'm going to gloss over it, but I feel like... Should I bring it up? No. We met Mark once before when we first were announced as a show. We had met him, and he was so nice. So I have a feeling he'll be nice and make a little joke about it. I think he will, too. And I probably won't call you Laura. Please don't. You totally should. Mike, don't! I'm sure I won't.
Just to confuse them. Don't you dare. You're a monster. Laura, what do you think? Don't do it. I'm here with Laura. Laura. It's going to take everything in my power. You know what? Actually, you should do it because then the monster light will be brought off of me and shown onto you. If by monster, you mean delightful comedian. Brilliant comedian. Genius. My favorite person. That's right. So we will do this in just a little bit. All right. I got an email for you. Mikey, I hang out with an attractive, fun group of girls, and we go out to different bars every weekend. We do this thing where we'll flirt with some guy to get free drinks. Once they pay for the drinks, we bail. It's awful, I know, but men fall for it every time. It doesn't matter if the guys are attractive or unattractive. They always buy us drinks five minutes into meeting us. Do guys really think? That if they buy women drinks, they'll hook up. Or do they know they're being played and just don't care? M1 Lori. Well, I think that when they buy you the drink, it's always in hopes that it's going to go somewhere. Yes. But I think that every guy, to a man, knows that it's a crapshoot. It's never a sure thing.
Never a short thing. Is your robot here? No, it's Jay's thing. Are they trying to call us? I'm perfect. Woods just ball-checked him. I tried to. He's too quick. And he hides. He hides, too. Yeah. What do you think, Woodsie? I think that I've been fleeced for about $25,000 worth of drinks in my day. And, you know, hey, I've also spent $25,000. That probably worked, so. Wow. You hit it right on the head. It is a crap shit. I've never had the confidence to do that. To buy a girl a drink? What? That's the end. You guys want to do some shots? You know, but I feel like if I buy a girl a drink, she obviously knows that at this point I'm trying. And I'm like, you know, I'm not going to go through the humiliation of her being like... I don't, I mean, listen. Holding the glass up and smiling politely. I'm not Victor from all my children. I'm not sending one across the bar. You know what I mean? I'm saying, hey, do you guys want to do some shots? Yeah, let's go. Buying shots and then doing it up. Couldn't do that. Even back in the day. You didn't? Victor from all my children? Guys slick. Yeah. How about George Clooney? I'm not George Clooney. Who's talking? I'm not sending a martini over. Yeah. Would you send over a martini?
No. That costs money. Jay would send her for moonshine. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't finish all my beer. You won't have? Slide it down. Slide it down to her. That old girl with the big boobs. It's lukewarm, but it'll work. It'll work. Get you drunk. L.O.B. Yes. What's up with the buying drinks bit? I know most of my girlfriends will do it and be like, whatever, I'm buying drinks. But I... I know that it's going to entail a conversation and a chunk of my night invested because I just can't be the girl that's like, thank you, and walks away. So I usually avoid the buy-me-a-drink guy. Do you say no thank you? I say no thank you. I got it. I'm good. Because usually guys aren't that slick. They offer you one while you're three quarters full on another one. And I'm like, oh, no, I've got one. Thank you so much, though. That just made my stomach turn over. I'm an independent woman. And nervousness. That's why I wouldn't. I remember one time I was made to go out with a group of friends. I didn't want to go. And it was, it used to be called, so it was in PB and it started with an H. I don't remember, but I was off Hornblower. I don't remember. But anyway, we were in this place and it was packed. It was packed and it was so long ago you could still smoke in bars. The good old days.
Gosh darn. Oh, boy. God, there was nothing like that. And I wasn't drinking. I just wasn't feeling good, man. You weren't feeling it. No, I wasn't feeling good at all. But I said, you've got to come out with us. One minute. Yeah, they're ready. So they made me go out. And I sat down at a table where some girls were. And they told me, you can't sit here. On that note. It's the most humiliating. The Escondido Humane Society is having its 18th annual Tales at Twilight Gay Life. All right, so what you're listening to is CW6. And the reason that you're listening to CW6 is because we're going to be on CW6. And by we, I mean L.O.B. and I, and we're going to be answering questions about relationships. And we do it every Friday. So if you want to see it, sign on right now. Always forget and don't dress nice. Perfect. Hey, let's get over to our friends at the Mikey Show this morning, Mikey and Lauren. And first off, Lauren, let me just say I want to read you here, okay? Oh, Mark. Look, I'm so sorry. I called you Laura all week long, and apparently that's been going on your whole life. Oh, yeah. Added to the frustration. Laura's fine. She's fine. Laura's fine. It really was fine. I was making a joke, and I really made it.
I know I made you guys feel embarrassed, and I'm sorry about that. No, no, no, no, no. Hey, so I've been looking forward to this all morning because everyone loves to hear about relationship stuff. Yeah. Good or bad, right? So you had a question that you were going to talk about. If a girlfriend wants to move in with a guy and he doesn't want her to, how do you let her off easy without making her mad? Well, first of all, I say the do as I say, not as I do. lived with my wife before marriage, but I don't suggest that. In fact, I say it's a bad idea. However, if you're going to do that and you don't want to do that, by all means, you've got to be 100% honest about it and tell her exactly why. Feelings are going to get a lot more hurt if you let her move in and you don't want her there. Isn't there just a good story that you can tell, Mikey? I mean, come on. Well, you mean with me personally? No, no, no. I mean just a little, you know, something prefabricated. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. I say no to making up stories. I'm telling you the honesty will always get you. It's always better. It's always better. Ella B., what do you think? I would say, well, babe, if we get married one day.
Oh, no. Now he's gone. And if we've already lived together, then where's the fun in that? But you started off with babe. That's always a good start. Yes, exactly. I did what Mikey did, and it did not work out for me, the whole live together before marriage thing. Oh, wow. So you could cite me as an example. You could do the whole buy the cow, get the milk for free. That could be a good anecdote. Her mom actually says that to her. She does. My mom actually goes, you know, if he's getting the milk for free, why do you expect him to buy it? Yeah, that's exactly what my mom says. It's an identical mom. If you're getting married just to save money on your dairy products, I'm thinking that might not be a good reason to tie the knot for life. Guys, if you don't want a girl to move in with you, you can't get around that, and you can't try to. To fake that? You've got to be honest. And you do it nicely. It all starts with a drawer, doesn't it? Ah, yes. When they move into a little space. It starts with a toothbrush and then a drawer. Toothbrush. Yeah. Toothbrush, right? Hey, babe, you left your toothbrush again. Oh, silly me. I know, but it's a third time. We've got one more for you here. Hey, Jake asked, hey, I just moved in with my girlfriend and there's a very little room in her apartment. She's telling me to get rid of my stuff. What?
Get rid of my stuff? Well, I guess if you're moving in with her, I mean, what do you guys think? I guess his man room is out of the question. Yeah, there's not going to be a man cave in that situation. But here's the deal. If you're moving in and she says you can't, you know, there's not enough room for all of your things, at that point, if it's going to be, what do they call that, split property or whatever it's called, community property. I don't know what it's called. Anyway, they're moving in with each other. You've got to compromise. That's the beginning of compromise. Hey, listen, I'm not the only one that has to give things up. And it's also a very good deal to keep in mind for marriage. When you get married, fellas, you're not keeping... Say goodbye to all of the weird posters that you've had. Well, say goodbye to posters. Oh, I've got to get rid of Farrah? Hello, floral. Hey, L.O.B., tell me, are you a dust ruffle kind of girl? I am not a dust ruffle kind of girl. Who is? No, but I would definitely, I would say concede maybe some of your decorating if you're a guy. But she needs to be making room for the basic stuff that you need. Now, maybe you don't need 17 guitars. Maybe you only need seven. Hey, guys, and this is hard to keep my chair. Hey, guys, I want to mention this, too.
Lauren is not a dust cover kind of girl. However, Laura is. Oh, yeah. Now, I just wanted you to know that. I wanted you guys to know. Thank you. I'm sure. She's mortified. She's mortified. She begged me not to bring it up. I'm so sorry. Oh, no. Are you kidding me? We love you guys. We love you guys, too. I'm just glad that we have a chance to do this on Fridays. Thanks again. We'll see you next week. Have a great weekend. All right, guys. We'll see you later. Okay. Talk to you later on. Can you talk about my name? Go to sandiego6.com. Click on Hot Topics. I had to do it again. I had to do it again. It's identical, Laura. You Hollywood's all done? Is that going to be the bit? Woods? Woods? You're going to make me feel bad. Hi, everybody. All right. I'm going to pull the curtain back. I'm going to pull the curtain back. I don't care. I don't care. You know that it's going to drive me crazy. Yeah, I'm going to do it every week, too. It makes me think that I'm going to... to hurt your feelings. Kid gets enough TV time. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Guess it's back on him now. You know Hollywood? Hollywood! So, okay, the drink thing. That's what we were talking about. The drink deal. Yeah, I don't think guys think that they're going to hook up every time they buy a drink. They think it increases their odds, wouldn't you say? Yeah, the drunker they are, the better chance you have. Oh, wow.
That's one way to butt it. Is that not a true statement? Well, yeah. Somebody wrote on Facebook that a drink hoe is still a hoe. Well put. Very eloquent. A drink hoe is still a hoe. Still a hoe. Well, it didn't. Unless we're all zombies. Yeah, unless we're all zombies and we don't know it. But he does admit when he's wrong. He says, look, I called this one wrong. I'm sorry. Second time there, Harold. I know, but I did some calculations and I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. I was wrong. So the actual day...
that the Earth will end is today, October 21st, he says. So he's saying that it's going to be today that it happens. Getting on a plane today. That's kick-ass. Oh, yeah. And, you know, look, I think he looks like he's... He's credible. Yeah, I think he looks like he's got it together. Should we call him and see if he's still around? Yeah, see what's going on. We'll see what's going on in sports. Well, your San Diego Chargers are heading up to New York. I'm sure they're already there. They are playing the Jets this weekend, and if you want to watch the game, it starts at 10 a.m. our time, and you can go up to Dave and Buster's and watch with Jay, and he can fill you on really a lot of the intricacies of the game of football. Yep. Well, what he can do is he can look at the football being played, and he can probably build something for somebody while they're there. Yeah. He can build them a birdhouse. Yeah. He can do any of that stuff. Out of napkins and straws. We're just going to play games, so come on out now. Challenge you. There you go. That will work as well. CreateYourDesignOnline.com is our friend Jared. He's awesome. Guy does graphic design. And he is incredible. And if you go to his website right now, CreateYourDesignOnline.com, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. He really is amazing. Let's see. Oh, yeah. The Occupy Toronto Protester.
So that's all over the world, as you know. The Occupy movement has gone all over the world. And this particular one happened in Toronto. This guy says that a man was in his tent. And while he was in his tent, he was sniffing his girlfriend's feet. So let's see what that was all about. There's a man in this tent. This man is a man. Who was in my tent sniffing my girlfriend's feet. He also tried to make me and my friends drink this. What's he holding up? I don't know. What the heck? Jay, were you in Toronto? Is that a problem? Hey, maybe don't put your tent at the fountain, you know, where a bunch of anybody's can walk around and just be doing weird stuff. Where are you going to put it? Yeah. Oh, put it on the stairs. I don't know. Maybe don't park your tent. Well, maybe don't park. How about park your tent in the forest when you go camping? You can't really do that if you're in a protest. Well, maybe you don't camp. Maybe you protest. You need a place to stay. Nine to five bit? No. Clock in and out? Yeah, I'm out of here. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
He's clocking in. Hey, can you cover my shift tomorrow? Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what. I'm not going to cover your shift because I'm going to protest today, but I'm going to go home and get something to eat. No, I meant can you cover my shift at the protest? Oh. I want to take it to the house. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got me? How long? Eight hours. Oh, no. I can't do eight. Dude. I can't do eight. Look, my man, if you're going to go and do this. Why are you saying that? You've said that three times. What? Counting today. What's that? Yesterday, he said, my man. Yes. Yeah, he said my man earlier today. This morning he said my man. Jay, the way that catchphrases go, okay? You started saying... Get some. Get some, yeah. See how quickly he knew? I believe he may be trying to start my man. No, my man's been around forever. I know. But not with Jay Isbell. Not with you. Just the past two days. How many shows we had? Four, 381? Mm-hmm. Never said it. I think I say it all the time, my man. It flows so naturally. It sounds very natural. My man. My man. My man. Get some started. I mean, I got to give it to him. He really did get get some started. Yes. Now, didn't we say when he started saying it?
Quit. It's never going to catch on. And it caught on like wildfire. And knowing his clown flock of fans that he has, they will be saying my man all day. They're still looking for Ballin as well. Ballin's out there. Aren't you guys worried? Ballin, by the way, was one of Jay's ideas for our program. He said, why don't we ask people to call in if they've named their kids weird things? For instance. I found out that some people named their kids Ballin'. Yep. It was on a list. And this was off the air during the meeting, and I said, Jay, who calls their kid Ballin'? No one. And he goes, no, man. Like, imagine, like, you walking in, kids four, somebody walks in the house, and they're like, has anybody seen Ballin'? Imagine it. Imagine. Picture yourself. Well, you'd have to imagine it, because it's never happened. It's never happened. It will never happen. Real. It's not real. Ballin. If anyone knows anyone named Ballin, you've been free to call in for the past few months. By the way, he has yet to produce Rita for All. Yes, yes. Justice and Liberty for All. It's Justin Farrell. For All. For All. He says that he knows people named... My kids went to elementary, but now they're older, and I've asked Maddie to look for them. And their last name is For All. For All. Liberty and Justice.
Well, it's kind of like Will For All. That's Will Ferrell. Yeah, so is this. No, he pronounced it For All. All right. My man is not going to catch on. Yeah, it is my man. Get some was a saying back in like the 90s. That's true. So was my man. What's my man? My man's not a saying. My man. My man. Go on, my man. So natural. It does not work on you. Yeah, you got to get one that is. Okay, my man doesn't work. My man. Come on, my man. It's making my skin. You got this, my man. What's my man? Come on. He called Chris my man earlier. And I made a mental note. I think that's the second time he said it. Is he trying to start my man? He said it yesterday. Yeah, I know. He's trying to start his own catchphrase. Another one. Now, did you go through, did you have a log book and you were like scratching out ideas? You were like, let's see. Some stuff just happens. Do stuff. No. How about weather? No. How about just do it? How about play it out? No, that's play it out. Come on, people. How about what? Player? Help me make this happen. Player. How about player? No. Should I have the ER or just, hey. Hey, gosh darn, it's too confusing. Player. Hey, player. No, it doesn't work. Hey, play on, play it. No, it's.
Gosh, that's too long. I love it. Why are you trying to get catchphrases to catch on? What? Answer the question. Relax, my man. And it will. Oh, yeah. Everybody's already doing it. Hey, man. People speak woodsies. It's my man. Hey, my man. Hey, my man. Hey, my man. It's actually miming. Hey, my man. Hey, my man. How many people now say, you ever just? Oh, yeah. Git. Git. Feast. Feast. Feast. Uh. Identical. Identical is one of my favorites. 100%. Don't you? Don't you? You know what else has happened we found out from listeners? Is that when people hear the J drops, they now, whenever that word is said, that's all they can think. Yep. They cannot think of anything else. Like if somebody says irrelevant. Uh, I guess it's irrelevant.
That's all they hear. That is all they hear. They start laughing. Yeah, they start laughing any time somebody says the word irrelevant. Whatever you think you know about this man is irrelevant. Meanwhile, my catchphrase is drink your algae. Yes, that's LLBs. She's been looking for one for about a year and a half. Johnny Appleseed. My name is Laura. Yeah, tell everybody about you trying to start Johnny Appleseed. Because you and Chris are both obsessed with Apple, the product. And I said, easy, Johnny Appleseed. And while we were getting ready to start the show, I said it, and you and Woods were cracking up, and I was like, ah, that's a good one. Well, I got one. I'm going to use it again on the air. And when I said it on the air, you guys just fell silent. Well, we had already heard it. We heard it. We'd heard that. But what says that all the time? But it's not really a, it's not really a, like, it was more of a person. Yeah. Yeah, but someone that's obsessed with Apple. But that's not, you see, I think it wasn't a saying. It was calling somebody something. Yeah. You know what I mean? Easy Mrs. Whatever. Right. Yeah. Easy Miss Brady. Right. The joke stood on its own well enough that morning. And then the three other times that you tried to. Three. Three. Three times she tried the Johnny Appleseed. And I got her on a break. I go, are you trying to get Johnny Appleseed? I go, what were you trying to get to catch on? What was it? I couldn't. I was racking my brain. We had a live audience in here. They're looking at me and I go, what was it? She goes, is it Johnny Appleseed?
Oh, whatever. Footloose Friday. That actually did take out. It did it. Yes, it did. No. What was last Friday? Friday. Friday. Footloose Friday. Overwhelming response. You know it. You know it, Mike. Well, there was an overwhelming turnout. Yeah. Hey, I had five M1s there with me. We're there. What? You and Jamie don't count. You and Jamie don't count. Five. Who? M1 Corb? Wow. M1DC. M1Jason. M1FranklinBischoff. Taylor? M1Taylor, but he went to the wrong theater. But he still showed up, but he just went to the wrong theater because I told him the wrong theater. Oops. So that's five. He had five. Now, Woods announced Footloose Friday for about a week and a half. He did it through every form of social media. He did it on the radio.
to thousands of people. He said, hey, it's Footloose Friday. Meet me at the theater. We're going to this showing. And he even said to me, hey, Mike, as soon as the show's over today, I know it's Friday, testimony, whatever. As soon as it's done, man. Picture. Identical. Picture. We do a picture with the listeners. Kids gotta get. Get. It's Footloose Friday, bro. Same bet today. Weird. Unfortunately. Yeah. He says today. It ends in a Y. I got a freaking plane to catch. Jerks. Four and out the door. Oh, gosh. 570-1949. We'll pick up the weight. Don't worry about it. Oh, wow. What weight? Friday. New movies out today. Jerk. First of all, what looks to be terrifying, Paranormal 3. Oh, boy. It's getting good reviews. Which is weird, because... I've never seen any of them because they're too creepy, but it was weird to me because I heard the second one was a flop. No? No way. Wasn't it a flop? It was good? It was better than the first.
Better than the first? No chance. When the baby went out of the crib, that was it. Oh, good. I'm out. I'm out, I'm out, I'm out, I'm out. Kids are too creepy. Yeah, and kids, it's unfair. Because kids are too creepy. It's not even fair. It's like, of course, you see those twins in The Shining. What are you supposed to do? You're done. Children of the corn. Now, every time I see a blonde kid, I'm like, oh, God. Yes. The redhead kid looks like Malachi. It's petrifying. You see a little girl in an old-fashioned 18... 65 dress. It's scary. Like, I'm not Danny. I'm not Danny. Especially if they're doing that creepy walk where they get a pop and lock. Now, that pop and lock walk that you're talking about that they do in The Ring. So gross. So we leave the movie The Thing. And I feel like I can go see The Thing because it's science fiction. I'm like, ah, you know, I don't want to see anything demonic, but I'll go see, you know, science fiction scary. So we go see it and, you know, it gets me. I'm pretty scared. We leave, Rebecca's like, you know. It's emasculating you. It's emasculating me. It's a good bit. You know, putting fake facehug around my face, which is so embarrassing, man. There's people like looking like, oh, wow, look, that dude's just a...
Big dope. She's carrying his balls in her purse. They thought she was funny. Yeah, they did. They sure did. At my expense. I go, why wasn't it scary to you? She goes, because it's so dumb. It could never happen. I go, what's the single most terrifying movie that you've ever seen? Because I knew the answer. She goes, The Ring. I go, yeah, babe, because girls come popping and locking out of wells all the time. Pretty scary. And then the lights go out. Out of the TV, babe. You know, because you know how girls come pouring out of the TV. Yep. I hate it when the lights go off. They're way far away, and you see them, and the lights go off a minute, and they're, like, closer. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Well, see, I always think those are. unfair scares. Yeah, it's cheap. Yeah, it's a cheap scare. I told a story about my mom's Alzheimer's yesterday. I mean, come on. What are you supposed to do? Laugh. Yes, that break about mom and dad was not the feel-good comedy of the year. It was almost unfair. People using the kids, the creepy music. Old people. All the cliches. Old people will get you, dude. Dude, let me tell you.
The reason, you know, obviously, I get bad dreams. I'm like a child. I get bad dreams if I watch the scary movies. So Woods knows the story. But years ago, Bark Malman, I was dating Rebecca. And Bark Malman, when I lived in Texas, said, you want to make a great impression on our dude? Take her to Hill Country. It's out by Austin. It's classy, bro. For whatever reason, we always believe that Bark Malman knows all things classy. Yeah. After all, he did wear a suit to a boxing match. So I said, well, what's the deal with it? He goes, dude, it's great. Okay. Here's what happens. They will mail you a map. All right. And you take the map. Girl thinks it's real great. You hear, hear, hear. Driving out there. As you walk up to the cabin. Key is under the mat. Dude makes you look like a stud. And I'm like, I'm in. Sold. Sold. So, Rebecca thinks the idea is fantastic. She loves it. Falls in love with the idea. Now, we got to drive from Dallas to Austin. It's a long drive. Yeah. Now, I don't know how far away it is. And so, we leave about four in the afternoon. And we arrive at seven o'clock at night. And it's dark.
And I'm looking for a dirt. I'm following this map that they sent me in the mail. Always fun. Yeah, it was great. And it says you'll see a KOA campground. And after that, look for marker number 21. And about 100 yards past that, you'll see a dirt road take a left. So that was pretty easy to figure out. At the time, I drove a Honda S2000. It was a little, it was kind of a small sports car. And we're just driving down this dirt road. And Rebecca's like, this is so beautiful. And I'm trying to pretend that I'm not scared. And I am. Because all I see is dust. In my headlights. In the middle of the woods. In the middle of the woods. In rural Texas. It's like when you see that in a movie and you're like, well, yeah, you idiot. Yeah. Why would you keep going at that point? Why is the girl like, this is so nice. In the movie. Yep. And the guy's like, yeah, it sure is. That girl's going to end up naked and dead. In the lake. Yes. No doubt about it. Yep. Go on with the story. So we get there. All right. And.
There's no lights on at all. There's no lights on. And so I have to keep the headlights on. I have to keep the headlights on in order to see the doormat. So I walk up to the doormat, and there's the key, and I open the door, and I'm not kidding you. The door does one of these bits. And I go, and I already say to myself, I already say to myself, I don't want to be here. I want to be out of here. And it's a cabin. What time of year? Do you remember? Was it cold-ish at all? I think so. I can picture it. It's cold in my mind. So she gets out of the car and I get our stuff and we walk in and we turn the lights on and literally she claps her hands together. She loves it. It's so quaint and beautiful. It's so rustic.
I took one look at this place and I went, it's freaking haunted. No doubt in my mind, this place is a creep. This cabin is a creep. And so I said to her, look, I said, if we can leave right now, I said, we'll go to Austin and I'll get us a penthouse at the Four Seasons. If we can leave right now. And she goes, no way. Oh, my God. No way. I love it. Oh, no. I take one step and you hear, because the floorboards creak. And I thought, this is like a joke. This is like a joke. It's like they created a haunted mansion for people, you know? And so there were two master bedrooms that you get to choose from. You get to stay in whichever one you choose. And so I open the one on the right and I turn the light on and it's all old. which I hate. I hate old. Hate old. Beaded bread spread. Yes. Dude, I hate stuff that looks like doily. It creeps me to no end. And so there's a fireplace in the room and above the fireplace is an oil painting of a woman. And I am not kidding you. This is the painting. I'm not exaggerating. Very...
Wide-eyed, stern old woman. Yeah, like I'm going to eat you. Wide-eyed, turned to the side with her chin at her shoulder. Like a really, really mean elementary school teacher. Yeah. And I go, and she laughs because she knows that that's going to scare me. And I go, are you kidding? With this? Are you kidding? I go, can we? Can we? And she goes, no. Like, she thought. He can't be serious. I was dead serious. Now she's dug in. She's dug in. She wants to stay. She loves it. So there's a picture sitting on the nightstand next to the bed. I'm not kidding you. If she's listening, babe, call. I defy you. Book of the Dead. You ever seen the movie The Others with Nicole Kidman? Remember the Book of the Dead? What they used to do in the 1800s, when kids or people would die, they didn't want to bury them right away. What they would do is they would sit them up in their Sunday bests and they would sit them up on a chair and they'd lean against each other and they'd take one last photo of them. I'm telling you, this photo is these two kids.
black and white oh my god leaned up against each other now she says they're smiling they're smiling i go they're dead they look dead crying out loud and she goes oh gosh so then i go exploring and i go into the bathroom and the freaking tub has claws it has claws it's a well first of all there's a tub it's a tub it's a tub it's not a shower it's a tub Romantic. Is it romantic? Bubble bath. Massage. I saw the tub and the old-fashioned toilet, and I thought, who is Mark Bauman? What are you thinking? What are you doing? Did you have to pull on a string from the ceiling to flush the toilet? It was one of those deals. I bet you if it was me that sent you, you would have been like, that SOB is pranking me. He's freaking pranking me. A hundred thousand percent. See, Bauman was, like, serious. Oh, he was always serious. But as much as he was serious, I questioned whether he was jacking with me. There's no way. Because it was nice, but there was a freaking tub with claws. Your mistake was getting there at night. You would have been there all day long. Nothing would have occurred to you, but getting there at night, you scared yourself. Maybe. The tub is okay. The tub is okay. What's it going to do, walk around? But what came next...
What came next was not okay. And even Rebecca, when this story is told, says, okay, I will give you that. I will give you that. So when we come back, I'll tell you what I found in this creep. Let's make some noise in our live studio audience. Joe, coming up. I always have to look my sexiest. That's why I'm wearing these tight size 42. It might seem hard to lead a healthy life today, but it's easy when you practice the ancient art of on-the-side-ism. Let's start with salad. Just have the ranch, the Roquefort, the Italian, or the Thousand Island on the side. Put the mayo on the side of your turkey sandwich. And leave the butter and sour cream as optional equipment on your baked potato. On the side-ism fears no sassy waitress, snooty chef, or emasculating comment from a friend. And it isn't just a way around the menu, it's a way of life. It's a towel. So go ahead, work those long hours at the office, but make sure to have some playing with the kids on the side.
For every hour you're stuck in traffic, make sure you have a minute of bike riding on the side. Zone out in front of the TV, but go out dancing on the side. No, they were just a family of children in the olden times. There you go. Book of the Dead. You know what's not creepy? An old framed black and white photo of children. From like the 1700s. That's not creepy. That's not creepy at all. Looks like a little Amish kid sitting on a bench. It was the creepiest thing I'd ever seen. That's so petrifying. So, we see a, uh, we see a basement. Only, uh, picture basement, but you open the door and then you would walk down into the basement, right? Okay, picture that exactly, but there's no door.
Just the frame. Just the jam. Just the door jam. Just the frame of the door jam. And it's cement. Okay? Looks like a bomb shelter. And there's stairs that go down. And I'm looking. I'm like, where's the light? There's no light near it. There's no light on the side of the wall. And I go, and she knows I'm already losing it. And so I look down into the inky darkness and I go, What is that? He's so scared. And she goes, I don't know. And I go, well, go check it out. She's like, you go check it out. So I'm like, all right, because now I got to know. I'm like, what is it? So I walk down these cement steps, cement wall, cement, everything cement. Get down to the bottom. When I get down to the bottom, I put my hand. My right hand, I reach it around the corner, and I'm feeling, and I'm trying to find a light. I'm trying to switch it on. I find it, and I turn it on, and I walk into the room, and I am not kidding you. She'll tell you, because I said, come here. Come here. I said, come here. I didn't want to. I go, come here. There was nothing in the room. Cement floor, cement walls, cement ceiling.
The only thing that was in the room was a rocking chair in the corner. I'll do it. The rocking chair room. No, the rocking chair basement. You know, so that just in case about that time of night, 9 o'clock, let's say you wanted to retire to the rocking chair room. You could turn the light on and you could sit there. Only one rocking chair, though. So you would just sit there and rock back and forth in the cement room. Yeah, you wouldn't be allowed to do anything. Leave it dark. You could only just sit there and stare straight ahead. No, you could sit there with that eerie light that was above it and you could read a novel. Or you could think. It's like a think tank. Yeah, a thinking tank. It's a think tank for one. That is ectrifying. Babe, you admit that was... Yeah, that got me. That got me. And I was like, oh gosh. I just wish that there was some way to like, you know, block it out or close the door or anything, but it was just open. There might as well been the Blair Witch guy standing in the corner. What if it was rocking and there was a smoldering cigarette? It probably was rocking overnight and we were just, you know. We were asleep. A brown, long, more cigarette.
Smoldering next to a rocking chair. It's still moving. Or if it was rocking and then when you walked up, it stopped rocking. I wish I could have been there before you. Oh, my God. And just kind of stood down there in the corner with an outfit on. Tie a string. So I would like now to switch gears a little bit here. I was starting to tell Woods' story off the air, babe. But I thought maybe you could tell it. Okay. And it's about how our two-year-old Ryan can play the harmonica. Yeah, it's really cool. So he likes instruments. And when we go to Jimbury, his favorite part is the maracas. And we have a little ukulele that used to be Jake's before he started playing the guitar. And so... Let's start here. Let's start here. She says over dinner last night, did you know that Ryan can play the harmonica? And I look at her, I look at her, I just stare at her. And I go, I go, I go, really? Really? And she goes, yeah, he can. And I go, he's, he's pick it up or just learned it recently. And what did you say, babe? I was going through our little box of instruments. No, who did you compare? No, who'd you compare? I know, I'm telling the story.
And I found a harmonica, and I handed it to Ryan, and he started playing it just like Bo Diddley. See you later. Yes, dude. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Bo Diddley! Just like, she said that. Dude, she says, she goes, no, I'm serious, baby. He picked it up, and he was like Bo Diddley. And my jaw, it dropped open. I looked at her, and I'm like, are you? kidding? That is in freaking sense. You play the air harmonica, Mike. Yeah, that's different than the harmonica. So he just picks it up and just starts. He plays it on the inhale and the exhale. Wow. Do you know what he does? He puts his mouth on it and he breathes in and out. You should encourage him. You should encourage him and listen to Bob Dylan. Yeah. That's the way you learn. Hey, I can't see. Is that Bo Diddley over there? Wow, we've got to capture this for YouTube. I want to hear it. I've never heard him. Rebecca, can you get audio? Yeah, I can. And then last night when we were at the concert, the band Need to Breathe, the lead singer started playing harmonica, and I'm like, look, it's identical Ryan. Oh, Ryan. It probably is, but you wouldn't know, Mike, because you don't listen to him.
He hasn't seen it. Well, it's not Luke that's playing it. You never listened. If Luke was playing, there'd be YouTube videos already. There'd be a record contract. How dare you. All right, honey. I love you. I love you. Love you. Bye. All right. Got our Phil and Rebecca for a while, you know, on the radio. No. No. We love her. Three times. Three times today. I think that's with her little bit earlier. She's good. She's good. I pushed, I didn't push her. I nudged her out of the way to get a photograph of Taylor Swift. And to touch her hand. Hold. Hold Taylor Swift's hand. I did. I held her hand. Have a moment with her. Got this. And, uh. In pocket. Yeah. Got photo. I'm gonna use it. Let's make some noise in our live studio audience. Got motion. Got something worth adding to the monkey show? Text them.

On Monday, we're going to be having a guy in that this heard about this months ago. And when he very first wrote me, I wasn't very interested. He said, hey, there's this new show that's coming on and it's about the military and you might be interested in it. And he didn't really tell me much about it. And I wrote him back and I said, well, what is it specifically? He said, it's about guys, a couple of them from San Diego that go to Afghanistan, find bombs and blow them up. And I'm like, like the Hurt Locker. He says, yeah, in a hundred percent. And so I kept asking him, I mean, forever. I was like, hey, man, really want to get an advanced copy of it. I really want to see it. I want to see it before, you know, before we put it on. He had to go through all these different people in the government and with G4 to be able to get it. And then finally they approved it and they FedExed it to me. Sweet. And I saw it yesterday and it starts the way the show, I mean, goes from nothing to they're in a tank. And I say tank, but it's not really a tank. It's just one of those big.
Army vehicles, but not a Humvee, the kind that you see that are driving when the bombs blow up on the side of the road, the IEDs or whatever they're called. And it's just a view from inside of that. And these guys are looking with night vision goggles probably 150 yards away. And their men, Americans, are walking into this little village area. And he pans over to the left with his goggles, and you see two Taliban. And so he starts telling them on the radio, hey, hey, hey, there's dudes moving towards you right now at whatever o'clock. And he's barely said that, and you hear, and firing start. And then, since it's night vision, you see bullets, because they're hot, flying towards them. And so they start returning fire and you hear him say, what are the, I can't remember what the acronym is. RPG? RPG. He goes, RPG, RPG. And you see an RPG coming at them and it stops. And it says five months earlier and they're in Coronado. But that scene, dude, is real. It's crazy. It's real. There's bullets flying and you can hear him hitting the vehicle.
Not getting, you know, it's not hitting them, but it's hitting the vehicle. And they're having to get out of the vehicle and return fire. And they're doing it without any, like, fear. They're not, you don't see any fear. It's just, they get out, they start firing. And you see one guy fall. You do see one guy fall. But it is one of the most intense things I've ever seen. And I am so glad that we're doing it, that we're having this guy in. M1s are going to love this show. It's intense, dude. Really, really intense. Anybody got any, do you have a gig this weekend, L.O.B.? I do not. I do. Yes, you do. David Buster's Sunday, 10 to noon. Awesome. At the end of the show on Friday, I'll tell you my testimony. I'll give you my testimony. A testimony basically is just me telling you what happened to me. It isn't meant to be anything other. than you hearing what my story is. And if you can, gleaning something from it for yourself. When I was five years old, I was sexually abused. And I was talking to a guy yesterday and he was going through my book proposal. And he said, I would take the part out about the sexual abuse. And I said, really? I said, why? He said, because a book is forever, man.
He said, and people will be able to see that forever. And I said, but it's already public. And he said, what do you mean it's public? And I said, well, I give my testimony on the air every Friday and I talk about it. Dead silent. Dead silent for a couple seconds. And he goes, really? And I was talking to my wife, Rebecca, about it. And I guess I don't think about it. I've said it so many times, I guess I don't think about it. But not very many people share that with others, which is a issue because for me, I was ashamed of it. And that shame turned into hurt and the hurt turned into anger. And I was a very angry dude. I was a very angry guy. And I also was not comfortable in my own skin. And I drank and I did drugs and I looked at pornography.
And I did anything that would make me feel good for the moment. Anything. I can be addicted to anything. If there's anyone listening that has an addiction that no one knows about, or maybe they do, you have to ask yourself at this very moment, for some of you it may not, but does it feel like I'm talking to you? Does it feel like I'm talking to you? Because you've had a similar experience and people have told you, man, you are angry. or you've had an issue with addiction. If you are in need of help, go to mikeyshow.com. At the top of the page is a button that says help. It's got resources for alcohol, drug addiction. It's got resources for depression, porn addiction. It's got resources. Go there and check it out. In 2003, I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I allowed him to start working in my life.
long process and he saved my life. He's the only person that I can point to and say, he never failed me. I've failed him many times, but he's never failed me. He hasn't failed me through my son's autism. He hasn't failed me through my mom's Alzheimer's disease. He hasn't failed me through any type of failure that I've experienced.
