The show kicked off with Mikey and Woods joking about their Halloween costumes, Woods appearing as a ghost in a sheet while Mikey planned to wear Captain America later. They then dove into a detailed recount of the Rangers‑Cardinals World Series game six, highlighted by Josh Hamilton’s tenth‑inning home run, and interviewed former Padre David Freeze about the game’s unusually high error count. The conversation shifted to Terrell Owens after a recent 911 call suggested a pill overdose, with the hosts debating whether it was a suicide attempt. Later, they promoted L.O.B.’s Elvira street‑corner appearance, gave updates on the running gag ‘Ballin’ the egg, and featured an interview with Eric Turner of Warrant who discussed the band’s history and performed ‘Heaven’ live.

Friday here and city by the bay, the city of lights, the city of brotherly love, the city of angels. City that never sleeps. City that never sleeps. There you go. Welcome to the program. It's a Mikey show and Woodsy, I thought you were going to dress up today. Oh. Oh boy. You guys all gave a pretty weak effort. Oh, my outfit is strong. When you're wearing it. I'm wearing it. Oh my gosh. I guess Woods is a Klan member. Oh my gosh, Mike. That is the rudest costume. I knew it all along. I'm offended. I have black friends. Oh, well, you have one black friend. He's your OBF. In fact, he's your only black friend. I have a black friend. You have black friend, yes. And I am a ghost. It is obvious that I am a ghost. Wow. See?
That is an elaborate costume. I did dress up as promised. Yep. It's a white sheet. And as you can see, he's got some holes cut for eyes. Do you like how neatly cut the holes are? Looks like a Wolverine did it. How did you do that? I did it with some scissors. Oh, my God. Looks like you drew it with a Sharpie. Yeah, LLB did. And then you cut the eyes out. Yes, with a Wolverine claw. Man. That is something else. Does Jamie know the sheet from your bed is gone? I had to go buy a new sheet. I had to buy this. Oh, wow. Probably the most expensive costume here. And it's a stupid sheet. No, man. I actually brought my terrific Captain America outfit. Yet you're not wearing it. Yeah. Well, I'm not going to wear it because, you know, it's a very... I'm going to put it on in a little bit. I'm going to put it on for television. L.O.B. and I are going on television. Jay and I won't have to. Yeah, we'll just hang out back here. Yeah, so it didn't even matter, I guess, if you and I dressed up at all. Yeah, or even if we're here. Or if we're even here. I don't get it. You mean why you're dressed up? We're on TV for like six minutes. Right. Oh. Oh, they're making the joke of like, why aren't we on television? Because they didn't ask you guys to be on television. They asked L.O.B. and I.
Yeah, you guys could have gone. How come we didn't get to be on Wipeout? Nobody asked me to try out for Wipeout. Both of you said you had no interest. You guys pretty much decided on your own you were going to be a team. You said no way. Nobody asked me. That's messed up, guys. It's cool, man. Just keeping us out of it. Just a weekly segment. Yeah. Just keeping us right out of it. Hey, Jay, what do you want to do when Hollywood 1 and Hollywood 2 are on TV? Let's play some ping pong on the sports chalet table tennis table that we have out here. In. Smooth. Yeah. Smooth as a heart attack. This is, Woods says, you can never get a real answer out of Woods. He tells you what you want to hear. And so you go, Woods, are you cool if we go on television without you? Yeah, dude, I don't care. I don't care. But then he passive aggressively makes these jokes about not being on television. I can't figure it out. I think he wants to be on TV with us. Whatever's good for the show. Yeah, whatever works. You see what I mean? Hey, listen. You see what I mean? I'll take one for the team, and as will Jay, we've done it several times. I mean, I'm sitting here with a fryer cut on my head as we speak, so. How come you haven't, you know, cut that? Because I'm letting it grow a little bit longer, and then I'm going to trim around it. Oh. Let's hit it. It's still. It could have just been like a fryer for Halloween. Could have just worn like a mug.
It's actually growing him pretty nicely. You know what, L.O.B., I'm going to have you explain it to me because I've had Woods explain it to me, but I haven't understood it, so I want to just try differently. Explain to me why he is growing it. the way that he is instead of just cutting it. Because he wears a hat a lot. That's kind of like a signature Woods thing. It looks totally normal. And then once it catches up, he'll even it out a little bit. But I thought it can't catch up. It won't catch up completely. So his hair will probably be shorter than he usually wears it. His overall haircut will be a little bit shorter. The first THC you see is going to not look that P. Perfect haircut. It's not going to look that P. But it's going to be not a buzz cut. You know what I'm saying? It'll still be a PHC look. I like it. It'll be a little shorter. I completely understand. You got it? Yep. I completely get it. And that was Jay's idea. And I actually said, that's a pretty good idea. Yeah. It's getting to be timely, though. I think you could almost. Yeah. Almost trim it. Yeah. Maybe make an appointment for next Friday. Yeah. That'd be perfect. Mm-hmm. That'd be perfect. Our phone number here is 570.
If you want to give us a call, M1HB from Scripps Ranch is on the line. Hi. What's up, my man? What's going on? What's going on, my man? I was calling to tell you, Mikey, that I loved your videos last night. They were hilarious. Thank you. Thank you very much. If you want to see these videos, you just go to Facebook.com slash Mikey Show. And it started with one. I'm going to do a video every day. When I was at the old station, we used to do this thing called the Ashley After Show, which I thought would be weird to have Woods do and then call it the Ashley After Show. So what we're going to do is the Mikey Minute. And, you know, it could be any of us. It could be all of us. It could be. Me, it could be anything. So I did one yesterday and basically it's just talking about, hey, what's going to be on the show tomorrow, that kind of deal. And then I thought to myself, I'm going to do a preemptive thing and I'm going to let my cast members know that I'm not going to be dressing up tomorrow. I'm going to do it through a video and they'll think it's funny and then they won't be upset at me if I don't wear a costume. Monster.
That's what the thought was, HB. But then it turned into, you know, shenanigans. Just shenanigans broke out. Naked kid running around. That cracked me up. Jake's little hiney, I was laughing, but what got Matt was the very end. The very end, he started laughing, and I was like, how was that the part that got you? But the very end when you were asking for help got him. Oh, yeah, yeah. Well, because... You just hear screaming and yelling and laughing. Door slamming. Door slamming. It sounded like a madhouse. It did. It sounded like a madhouse. I was waiting for Nurse Ratched to pop out. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. And I'm wearing a Captain America mask through the whole thing. Oh, wow. Genius. And then finally, towards the very end, Jake is laying on my back and he's naked. He's laying on my back and he's looking over my shoulder into the camera. And I sort of put my face close to the camera and I go, help. Help. Let me out of here. Get me out of here. Get the hell out of here. Let me out of here. Get me the hell out of here. So anyway, it was great. And you can check it out. Thank you. Everyone go on to Facebook and watch them. They're hilarious. Yeah. I wish there was a way to just make them.
available right there instead of the whole scroll down bit. There probably is a way. I think you just click on videos in the top bar. Yeah, and that'll be there. Right under the update status. Or go to Twitter and look up Mikey Show Mikey and they're all there. Thank you, HB. We love you. HB's coming in soon. We love you, HB. Talk to you later. If you want to follow us on Twitter, Mikey Show Woods, Mikey Show Lauren, Mikey Show Jay, Mikey Show Mikey, you can follow us all on there. Chris, you should make one too, Mikey Show Chris. And he is dressed today as a vampire. Scared the crap out of me. And me. He's got a white face and fangs and the whole bit. It looks real. Is he going to be answering phones? His teeth look real. Yeah, they do. Is he going to be like... Yeah. Yeah. Hello. Super. Turn your radio down. Don't cuss. Here's the point. Don't cuss. Yes. Certainly. Okay, I'm going to put you through the mic here, okay? When you get on the air with him, he's going to say your name, so don't say your name because that would be redundant. What's that? Uh-huh. Okay, cool. And how do you spell your name? What part is...
What part of town are you from? Rancho Penasquitos. All right, so give us a call. 570-1949 or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. Word of the day is tiger. And when I weave that into a sentence between now and 10, you need to be calling nine and I'll give you Yo Gabba Gabba live tickets. Oh, loud. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's L.O.B. L.O.B. looks fantastic today. She looks hot with that dark colored wig on. Yeah, she does. Thank you. Foxing it up. Matt says he does not like it. My boyfriend. Why? He said, normally, you know me, I like change. He said, you just look weird. It's like a Kardashian wig. It looks cute. I don't think you look weird. Thank you. The blue eyes, the dark brown hair, it's kind of cool. I also have a giant ring on. This is Elvira? No, this is Kate Middleton. Mike? I'm sorry. It's very uncomfortable in here now. Yeah, it is. It's very uncomfortable. No, no, no. I knew that. It's very uncomfortable in here. I knew it. Remember when I told everyone that that's what I was going to be? That's a recording of Jay. That's the uncomfortable alarm.
All the way around for that one. Got that off a sound effect CD. We paid big money for that. We paid for a service that sends us those. Yeah. They're amazing. Well, what's cool is that we live in a city like San Diego. If you worked in a market like El Paso, you couldn't afford a sound effect like that. You can't get that gold. I mean, no. You got to have a major budget. Major budget. And we do. So, feast. I was in the middle of introductions. Jay is our producer and our phone screener is Chris. It's gross. Okay, so Wood says last night was maybe the greatest World Series game that's ever taken place. Minus the maybe. I also heard that on ESPN, so you're not the only one that thinks so. People think this. I didn't see it. It was unbelievable, dude. What's the deal? Absolutely incredible.
Rangers-Cardinals in St. Louis. It's game six. The Rangers, all they need to do, well, all they need to do, they need to win. If they win, they are World Series champions. Their closer is in, in the ninth inning, ready to shut down the Cardinals. The Cardinals are down to their last strike. The guy has two strikes on him. One more strike. The game is over. The man that steps the plate is David Freeze, who was a San Diego Padre, of course. Listen to what happened in the ninth. Cut one. Seven. So that's in the bottom of the ninth. So now that's exciting in and of itself. I was like, oh, my God. Then Josh Hamilton steps to the plate in the 10th. Two-run home run. Josh Hamilton. Gone. Rangers take another two-run lead. They were up two in the ninth. Lost the lead. Hammy comes up. Hits a two-run homer. They're up two again in the 10th. Well, up steps Lance Berkman in the bottom of the 10th. Cut two. Run at second base. And it's 9-9.
Dude, now it's 9-9. So they go to the 11th inning. Dude, Jake Westbrook comes in for the Cardinals. He shuts down the Rangers. They go to the bottom of the 11th inning. David Fries, again, former Padre, cut three. Forced a game seven? Yep. Oh, my gosh. It was, I was, all of Jamie and Maya were from Texas, so all of our Facebook was Ranger, Ranger, Ranger. We got it, man. One out. One more out. One more out. One more out. One more out. One more strike. We got this. And then kill me, FML, I want to die. Oh, my gosh. This is the worst night of my life. Wow. I wish so. From all your Texas fans, friends. Everybody. Because Woods is from Texas. And, dude, it was, I said it on my Facebook. I said, I'm sorry. This pees on the Super Bowl. I mean, it just, it doesn't get any better than that. Wow. I didn't even know. Argument to be made, for sure. I mean, really, there's not. It was un-freaking-believable.
The World Series, best of seven. It was unbelievable. It was unbelievable. L.O.B., you take umbrage. I do. Who won the Super Bowl last year? There you go. It doesn't matter. It doesn't really matter. Yeah, it does. Because I can enjoy it without even knowing who played. What's the deal with the World Series anyway? I mean, does anybody really watch it anymore? Yeah, beat football on Sunday night, Andy Rooney. Who played last night? The Cardinals and the Rangers. Oh, but I couldn't have answered that. Well, who played in the Super Bowl? I don't know. It's been like eight months, maybe. There you go. What's the deal? But that was last night. But you don't have cable. What's the deal with people not knowing who played in the Super Bowl? Girls. You know, I guess. Jay, who played in the Super Bowl? Two football teams. Who did play in the Super Bowl? I'm sure if I thought about it, I could come up with it. New York Jets and the... San Diego Chargers. Was it the Saints and... No, it couldn't be the Saints. Oh, that's not Saints and Packers. No, it was the Packers last year, wasn't it? And the Steelers. Yeah, there we go. Yeah, that's it. The Pack Attack. Saints won it the year before. There we go. That's right. Your boyfriend's team was in it last year. I knew that they were in it. I just couldn't, you know? Put your finger on it. Yes. Dude, this was so insane. Well, this is former Padre David Freeze talking about the win. David...
You grew up here. You know what it's like to be a Cardinals fan. What was it like hitting that home run? Man, that was incredible. I'm just glad I had a chance after looking like an idiot on that pop-up. But we fought back. We made some mistakes early on, but the way the Cardinals and we've all been playing lately, you expect to come back like this. This is just a good feeling. I'm pumped we're playing tomorrow. There were also five errors in this game. And I don't mean errors like, ooh, that was a tough hop, or, oh, that throw barely got away. I mean balls coming down to him. David Freeze. He plays third base. Hits him in the palm of his hand and drops in the infield. Oh, wow. The outfielder running in. Do you got it? Do I got it? Do you got it? Do I got it? Falls out of their glove. I mean, Michael Young at first base for the Rangers, booting balls. It was absolutely just up and down, up and down for 11 innings. What's normal? In terms of errors for a game, is that? None. None. Zero. I mean, these guys are professionals. These guys are professionals. And if there's one error, you're like, oh, man, rough night for you guys. You made an error. I mean, it's usually none. Yeah. It was so good. So game seven actually is going to be tonight. It's going to be a 5.05 our time. And this is it, man. Winner take all. I can't imagine the Rangers can overcome this. I can't. They may be able to, but I can't imagine that they do.
Don't they play in Texas? No. They're still in St. Louis. I mean, and the Cardinals have their ace on the mound, Chris Carpenter. The guy's tough as nails. I can't imagine they win it. I just can't. It's too hard. So, Woods reported a couple of weeks ago that Terrell Owens, that there was some stuff out there about him and an attempted suicide again. You know, before... He had swallowed a bunch of pills back in, like, 2006 or something. In Dallas, yep. He swallowed a bunch of pills, and he said it wasn't a suicide attempt, that he was taking some pills, and he got confused with how many, and da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Well, this is the 911 call from just a few weeks ago. All right, paramedics, number 133, what's the address of the emergency? Okay, tell me exactly what happened. My boss, he took four prescriptions. Like pain pills. Okay. I just don't know how many he's taken me to from about 30, 45 minutes ago. Okay. Are you with him now? Yes. How old is he? 37. Okay. Is he awake? Barely. I mean, like he's... Is he breathing? We talked to him. I mean, he understands what we're saying. Like he didn't want us to call him. Is he breathing? Yes. Is he violent? No. Is he changing color? No. Okay. Is he breathing normally? No. I mean, like it's really slow. It's really slow. His heart rate is really slow.
He said he took these about 30 minutes ago? About 45 minutes ago. Yeah, I have the paramedics on the line. What did he take? Okay, he took... It was on... Okay. This is the bottle that I've... I'm going to count these. This is the bottle that I've noticed that the most are missing out of. Okay. These are all prescriptions that were in his case. Is this a suicide attempt? Yes, I believe so. Okay. How's he doing right now? It's still kind of the same. Okay, is he talking to you? He's talking to his girlfriend, ex-girlfriend. Don't really know. What do you want to call it? Okay. This is kind of what, I don't know. Okay. She's being careful, right? She's being careful what she says. Probably knows this is going to be released. The rumor, he says, this is what T.O. said at a news conference. The rumor of me taking 35 pills I think is absurd.
I don't think I'd be here if I'd taken 35 pills. Now, if it's true that he was trying to kill himself, you look at it and you go, well, why would a guy like Terrell Owens want to kill himself? I mean, he's a good looking guy. True, he's not playing football anymore. Doesn't really look like he's playing football anymore. But why would he try to kill himself? A possible answer is... Because football is everything. That's his identity. His identity is just the game. And so if he's not playing football, maybe he doesn't have a reason to continue to live. No? I don't know. It's hard. I mean, he could have a lot of demons.
Yes, and I think with him, the spotlight was always more important than the game. And I think, you know, when you talk about a guy like Jerry Rice, football was everything to him. Football ain't everything to T.O. The cameras, the lights, the publicity, the attention. And that's probably harder to overcome than losing the game, is losing the attention. I hadn't thought of it like that. And I'll tell you what, this is the second assistant of his that is called 911 based on his behavior. Same thing happened in 06. And I was there in Dallas for this. And it was a huge story. It was huge here. And it just doesn't happen. They carried that press conference even here. Right. Dude, it's like if you walked in and saw me asleep on the couch, you're not going to call 911 immediately. There's something that leads them to get very concerned about him and his behavior that makes them pick up the phone. You know what I mean? Like it's a boy who cried wolf bit, you know? Yeah. He keeps doing stuff. Yeah. And it's pretty, you know. Pretty concerning, I think. Yeah. Now, yesterday was also a big day with the stock market. Why? Because looks like the stock market may be on a upward trend. Hope so. Knock on wood. Yes. Now, the reason for everything getting so screwed up in the first place was Greece.
They were going to shut down their economy. It was that bad. You know, their economy was really, really bad off. And so yesterday, it was announced that Europe was basically going to bail them out. And that could save the world economy that they decided to do that. It's good news. It's good news for everybody. It's still a great musical, too. Grease. It's a great musical. Different spelling. It's a good movie. It's a great movie. You know what? Traholtz kicked some serious blood in that movie. And another thing, a squeaky one still gets the grease. No, a squeaky wheel. A squeaky wheel still gets it. Still gets it. There you go. Steven Tyler. We posted the picture of him the other day. Oh, my gosh. So he was on the Today Show, and they asked him, well, you know that Matt Lauer is not going to let that go. So Matt Lauer asked him, point blank. Are you back on drugs? And you'll hear what he says next. Pop it in. And turn it on. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949. Or text. This is the Mikey Show. More coming up on FM 94.9.

That's it. And you can't find it. I can't find it. Every time I buy it, they go, Lauren. I write bad reviews about them online. And Jay. She'll go on a girls' trip and I'll go on like a surf trip or something. But if I have a choice, I would rather be together. Whoa, what am I hearing? Now. On FM 94.9. Jared has a website called createyourdesignonline.com. And he does graphic design and he is our
personal graphic design guy. And did my business cards, does our website. He's incredible. You want him to do your website? Just go to his. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. He's amazing. Dude, did I tell you about what I'm asking him to do? What's that? I wrote him yesterday during the show and said, hey, this is a weird question. I'm sorry to bother you. Can you make a big decal for my dad's boat? And he writes back in about 15 minutes. He goes, yeah, no problem. What do you want? Yeah. I'm like, wait, you can make a big old decal. He goes, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just tell me what you want. It's done. Oh, my gosh. The guy's the greatest. Yeah, and he'll probably have it for you by next week. He goes, I want to get started on it at the latest by Monday. I want to get that done and get that off my plate. Guy's a beast. Yeah. Straight up. He turns stuff around right away. Well, he can do anything, too. It's amazing. Okay, so word of the day is Tiger. I'll say it now, between now and 10.
And when I do call her nine, you're going to Yo Gabba Gabba Live. OK, so we have to get a balling update here in just a few minutes. Oh, yeah. Want to let people know that L.O.B. is going to be dressing as Elvira and she will be on the corner of Friars and Frazee. Just another Friday night. Just another Friday night. That's right. The illusion is that she's a prostitute, I think. That's the illusion? That was the illusion that Jay was alluding to. Oh. Oh, I get it. I get it. No, that you would be because you're on the street corner. Oh, that's a big lead. Well, you know, he's creepy Uncle Jay. So, you know. Stop by and see her. That's right. So, she'll be out there and just looked at the costume. You decide, is it Elvira or is it Snooki? Is it Snooki in a big red moo moo? Mm-hmm. Yes. It's a giant costume. It's anti-identical Elvira. Yes. Yes. It's a giant costume and it's got a Snooki wig. Poof. Thank you, Adam. Yeah. Yes, thank you. Yeah. And so maybe you're either Elvira, Snooki, or a samurai. Yep. Samurai.
You know, sumo wrestler wig. Yes. Could be any of those. It's a female sumo wrestler's wig. That's right. So at the... Non-identical. What time are you doing it? 7.30. 7.30. See her out there at 7.30. Whenever we do anything with LOB, it's always a draw. And so I'm kind of looking forward to seeing the people driving up to see her. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Honk your horns. You know, the whole bit. She's going to give you something to honk about. Oh, yeah. Hubba hubba. LLB just gave me a confused look like, don't know what that means. No. Here is Steven Tyler talking about his fall in the shower. Steven, how bad was this fall? I'm looking at some photos that we've been showing this morning. It looks like you were the wrong guy in a fight. Tell me about this. Well. You know, it was like the second, it was the second show in South America. And it just so happened, you know, that I got that, what's it called when you eat something in Montezuma's Revenge. I took a walk with the Incas for 48 hours. I walked through and looked like Barysikov and walked out looking like Leon Spinks. He, by the way, the photo is on our Facebook page. So if you go to facebook.com slash Mikey show.
The first picture that you see at the very top of the page, we have a sequence of five pictures. The first one you see is the picture of Steven Tyler. He's missing a tooth and he's got this giant swollen black eye and stitches. I mean, a lot of stitches. And there also appears to be some sort of bruising below the eye and maybe a cut below the eye. His lips. His bottom lip is swollen and cut. I just can't imagine. It looks like it was multiple trips in the shower. Oh, yeah. One trip. If you fell one time in the shower, I can't imagine it would do this. I just can't imagine that that would be the damage done. So anyway, here is Matt Lauer asking him about drugs.
Stephen, you and I spent some time together recently, and we talked openly and honestly about your past, including drugs and alcohol. And I know as some of your fans see these pictures this morning, they're going to have questions about whether this was a fall in the shower or a fall off the wagon. Would you address that for me? I love the way you put that. You know, being in the program that I'm in, it's something that we have to accept. I went public with my problems only. only to address them straight on. So, you know, people thinking that is natural and normal. You know, we flew last night from Paraguay after that incident, and we're in, where are we now? Argentina for two hours. And if anybody knew anybody that used substances, they wouldn't be up the hour after having a talk with Matt Lauer and the rest of America. But, you know, it's nothing that I don't understand. I get that people think that. It still bothers me a little, but it's something I have to deal with for the rest of my life. But you're clean and sober. That's not the issue. No, it's not the issue. Yeah, because he didn't really answer it until... I talked for about 15 minutes before I asked him a direct question. Yeah. So anyway, you can see the picture on our website. It's actually a photo of the TV. That's what we did.
Alright, it's time to check in with L.O.B. and get a Ballin update. Ballin is in a Halloween costume today. You whack job. Ballin. Oh, wow. Ballin really looks up to his Uncle Woods. That's right. And he heard that Uncle Woods is going to be dressed as a ghost. Yes. Which I guess lasted for about 30 seconds. No, I'll do it later when everyone comes in. So Ballin really wanted to. I decided to make his costume this year. You did? Yeah. Now, is that cheesecloth? I don't know what this is. Maybe a doily. Oh, you know what? It's an old curtain from Ikea. Old curtain from Ikea. And it looks like you just cut out a swatch. Yep. And he can see through it. Yep. He's a ghost. Good. Ballin. in case you didn't know, is an egg. And we're having L.O.B. carry around an egg for a week to see how well she can take care of a baby. So far, we've had a lot of fun. He got to meet Buddha yesterday. He did, yeah. Saw that. Took a picture? Yes. Took a picture. Went to a sales meeting? He did. He had to come. I mean, I didn't have a sitter, so I had to bring him to our all-staff meeting. That's right. And he sat there the whole time. He was really good. He was quiet.
Smile on his face the whole time. You're lucky. Yeah. You know, a lot of them, a lot of those babies, they are not that quiet. Right. And he's sitting up now. You know, I got him a little bumbo. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. That is a... He's sitting up. Looks like a cap for a water bottle. Cap off my water bottle. My water bottle. He just sits right in there. Yeah. So he likes it. He does. He's... I'll post a picture soon. He may have his first crush on... A girl. Okay. Who? I don't know her name. She looks like an angel. Yeah. And I caught them talking. I snapped a picture of him, and he's looking at her very adoringly. Where can we find the picture? I can post it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Please, please, please, please. Very intrigued. Yeah, I think the audience would be curious who Ballin is into. Yeah. Name the egg Ballin. Ballin. Yeah, obviously. It's a popular name. According to Jay. According to Jay. Yeah. Everybody loves ballin'. I've gotten really lucky. Sleeping through the night. All good. Good. Not, you know, no trouble. How are the poopy divers? Great. I mean, a little runny. Yeah. A little runny, but I think that's to be expected. Sure, yeah. Yeah. This age. I'm pretty sure we're going to look back on this moment, and this is when L.O.B. finally went over the dark side. What's the dark side? Yeah, what is the dark side? This is a strange, very strange side of you, L.O.B. What do you mean? Don't you mean finally went over the dark side?
The edge? The edge. Oh, the ragged edge. The ragged edge. Very, very interesting. Can I put it up on Facebook now? Please. Okay. Please. Don't look, Woods. I'm not looking. I know you like to do that. I love to look. I just don't like to touch. See? I know a guy just like that. Do you? Yes. His name is, well, I don't want to say his name. His initials are J. Isbell. Loves to look. Says he doesn't like to touch, really likes to touch. Loves to touch. Really loves to look. Actually prefers touching more than looking. As long as it's Kim, I'll touch her. Definitely a very tactile guy. I mean, he just wants to touch everything, actually. Very subtle as well. Well, there it is. A ballin' update. We will have LOB carry around ballin'. So I just uploaded the picture to facebook.com slash mikeyshow. And this is a photo of... Oh, wow. Okay, that's an actual angel. It's a ceramic angel. No. No? Yes, it is. But Balin thinks it's, you know, it's his princess. Balin thinks that's a real person and they're getting along real well. Look at the way that he's looking at her. Adoringly. Yes. Adoringly. In the picture. Adoringly. It's an angel, Jay. She's an angel of light. That's right. 570.
One ninety four nine is our number. It's pretty awesome. I had some real fun with balling. I bet you. Hey, I got a question for you. Yes. Do you find that people are interested in talking to you and saying, oh, you know, look at that cute little ball and egg. We haven't gone many places in public yet. We did go to the staff meeting, but a lot of people that work for our company also listen to the station. Oh, Paulin. Yeah. They knew him, so. Yeah. He feels like a mini celebrity. Does he sit in an egg seat? Yeah. Oh, in the car? Yeah. It's improvised. Yes. Like a pashmina. Pashmina. Yeah. Yeah. Well, hey, whatever works. Whatever you got to do. You just can't harm. He's a good egg. I'll tell you that. He's a good egg. He's excellent, too. Yeah. Eggtastic. He's a crack up, too. I mean, he tells jokes. He's really coming out of his shell. Oh, that's now that. Now that. Hello. Well, I said he's a crack-up, and he tells Yolks. Oh, he tells Yolks. Gosh, getting a row right there. This is double points. We do something called the YouTube Comic of the Week, and what it is is we will find a comic once per week that you will really enjoy. What page, Jay? I think it's seven. Oh, boy, we've got a lot of pages.
Oh, boy, we certainly have a lot. Oh, here we go. How about this one? I'm moving a little slow tonight. I had a Hot Pocket for dinner. Jim Gaffigan. Good to see I'm not the only white trash here. I've heard this before. I buy the Hot Pockets. I go in grocery stores. I'm like, yeah, look at these. It says Jim Gaffigan, but it sounds a lot like Brian Regan. I'm going to die. I paid for that? Oh, it's Jim Jeffrey. Did I eat it or rub it on my face? My back hurts. Uh-oh. I was looking at a box of Hot Pockets. They have a warning printed on the sign. It's a warning. You just bought Hot Pockets. Hope you're drunk or heading home to a trailer. You hillbilly enjoy the next NASCAR event. Pockets. I like NASCAR. He's a jerk.
Never really see that on a menu when you go out to dinner. Let's see, I'll have the Caesar salad and the Hot Pocket. Tonight's specials, we have a sea bass, which is broiled, and we have a Hot Pocket, which is cooked in a dirty microwave. And that comes with a side of Pepto. Is your Hot Pocket cold in the middle? It's frozen. But it can be served boiling lava hot. Will it burn my mouth? It'll destroy your mouth. Everything will taste like rubber for a month. All over the hot pocket. YouTube comic of the week. Here's the thing. Yesterday, we freaked a lot of people out. How? Talked about spiders. Particularly, we talked about the brown widow, which is like the black widow, but has more poison. Came here from South America. Just like the killer bees made their way up, so did... The Brown Widow. And it's in San Diego County. It's big, it's ugly, and it has a lot of poison. And it scared people yesterday. When we were talking about scared people so bad. Well, LOB wrote in her recap that she couldn't stop itching and being jumpy all day long. Every piece of fuzz that landed on her she thought was a spider. And anyway, so she's freaking out. She had Matt come over.
her boyfriend, Matt Commerce, to check up on her and to check in the mailbox since there's giant spiders in there and they keep coming back. So a big, fat, brown spider is chilling in the back of her mailbox yesterday. A couple of small ones, but old brown cow was running the show, right? He's back there just... That's what I named him. Old brown cow. Yeah. She said, oh my gosh, what if those are her babies? If they're reproducing back there. Wood's just got a look on his face like... She says, before she could wait for an answer, Matt took her ValPak envelope. The coupon. Yes. Yeah, of course. And thumped it right down on top of the spiders. And she's not going to be making any babies now. It's good. Do you have gunk all over, like spider guts everywhere? Oh, yeah. Mm-hmm.
I told you the other day I picked out the junk mail out of my mailbox and my hand rubbed over something like crusty on the back of it and I flipped it over and it was a squished spider. Oh, God. I scream so loud. Oh, yeah. People are still texting about it today. In fact, this guy told us a story about an encounter that he had. He said he grew up in the canyon area of Penasquitos. When he was 11, he was in the backyard. practicing backflips. Barefoot, by the way. He said, I had my sister spot me to make sure I didn't land on my head. I felt confident that I could do a backflip without a spotter. I ran the length of my backyard, did a round off to a back tuck. Yeah, that's exactly what it is. Different type of tuck. And when I landed on my feet, I noticed my foot felt wet.
So I lifted up my foot and saw on the bottom it was a brown, yellowish goo. Looked like I had splinters. Then I looked in the grass and realized that I just landed on and squished and popped open a tarantula with my bare feet. How about that? I stepped in a big turd in my backyard. It's awesome. Lights are off. What were you wearing? Boxers and t-shirts. No shoes? No shoes. Oh, what? Oh, gosh. Oh, my gosh. You couldn't have stepped on it harder. You couldn't have. Oh, that is just filthy. Yeah, that's awesome. I had to go get my golf clubs out of the garage. No lights. I alluded to it yesterday when I did my little video on our Facebook page, but we're going to talk about our friend Jay. Oh, my gosh. Buckle up. Heard on the Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949.

Eating junk food and having nightmares, it's not a wives' tale. Apparently. No, it isn't. In fact, they just did a study and they found out that having junk food or spicy food before you go to bed does give you nightmares. Wow. Here's why. Spicy food cranks up your body's temperature. Junk food can trigger increased brain waves and both of them require your brain to work faster. So rather than letting it shut down a little bit. As you sleep, it gets more active. That gives you nightmares. We paused because we were looking at Chris as he was touching up his makeup. Yes. Using his iPhone as a compact. Oh, Chris. It was fantastic when he finally stopped, looked up, and was like, oh, hi. Hello. No, hello. Woods, what's going on in sports? We'll give you a pretty sad Charger injury update here in a second. Wanted to tell you that sports is brought to us today by Dave & Busters. Dave & Busters, eat, drink, play football. This made me really sad. Chris Dielman, who's the Pro Bowl left guard, had a concussion in the Jets game. Dude, they said he suffered what is called a grand mal seizure. Are you serious? On the way home, on the flight. Now, the headline is, Dielman out at least two games. And I'm like...
Dude, I'm having a grand mal seizure. I'm having a seizure. I may be out the rest of my career. That's pretty heavy stuff, dude. So, you know, hey, thoughts and prayers for him. Hopefully he recovers and comes back and is able to play and play safely. That's gnarly. The good thing is those doctors, I don't think we'll let him on the field unless he's good to go. So he's out at least two games. And this was a really kind of sickening story yesterday. Remember the Giants fan, Brian Stowe, that was beaten so badly outside of Dodger Stadium? And really just got out of the hospital. He's also been having seizures and was in a coma. The Dodgers have hired an attorney. That attorney has said, listen, all the blame is not on the Dodgers. Brian Stowe has some of this responsibility as well. And that's what they're setting out to prove now. Oh, wow. Stay classy, L.A. Gosh, dude. You'd have to be, wouldn't you? Yeah, I guess so. L.O.B. will be dressed as Elvira at 730 and standing on the corner of Friars and Frazee. So if you want to lay your eyes on that, you can. A little angel. Yeah. She'll be standing out there and just waving hi, talking to us on the phone, and greeting you as you drive by and say hello. Should be pretty cool. Let's do this. Eight in the National Football League. Orleans heads into St. Louis. Really? Really? Yeah, the Saints.
I bet my house on it. Also, Dolphins are going to New York to play the Giants, and that Miami team just doesn't look good. They're 0-6, and of course the Giants win that. Yeah, there's been a lot of infighting on that Miami team, and there's no way they're going to get it together against New York at New York. Arizona heads to Baltimore as long as Baltimore still has a defense, and they're named the Baltimore Ravens. I'm going to take Baltimore. Yeah, and they had a bad beat on Monday night in the Jaguars. I think they may win by 35 in this one. In other news, Woods is still calling the Jaguars the Jaguars. The Vikings head into Carolina, and Carolina's starting to look real, real good. I'm going to take them at home. Yeah, they got something. And Christian Ponder for the Vikings had a good game last week. Kind of a coming out party for him. But I think Cam Newton is going to be rookie of the year, and they win. Indianapolis. Heads to Tennessee. Once had Adrian Gonzalez tell me the game of baseball is 85% mental. I think some of that applies for football, too. And these guys are fired up because of the beatdown they took last week. I will actually take Indianapolis on the road in Tennessee to beat Tennessee. Getting their first one of the season, I don't think that's going to happen. Chris Johnson has kind of got a chip on his shoulder. Everyone's saying they should bench him.
I think he runs all over the Colts' weak run defense. Jacksonville heads in to Houston, and I think Houston is too good a team, and I think that the Jaguars are not up to the task. Woods, what do you think? I think Houston will beat Jacksonville. That's not fair. Woods says he's now going to start referring to them as simply Jacksonville. All right, they'll beat the Jags. There we go. There you go. That works. Detroit heads into Denver, and I like Denver at home. Weird. Really? So weird. Really? I'm so surprised. That's your boy. That's your boyfriend. Tim Tebow's a winner. Oh, boy. I say the Denver Broncos win at home. Woodsy? Lions get back on track. They beat Denver in Tebow's running attack. Washington heads into Buffalo. The juggernaut stays on track. I say Buffalo at home. Yeah, absolutely. Buffalo beats Washington. Cincinnati heads into a 2-4 Seattle team that looks like garbage. And I think Cincinnati takes care of business. I think so, too. Cincinnati over Seattle. Cleveland goes to San Francisco, who's 5-1 in a mean San Francisco team. A different San Francisco team. I think they win at home. Yeah, as much as I'd like to see them not, they will win. New England goes to Pittsburgh. Good game. But in the end, I say New England.
wins it on the road. As do I. Tom Brady gets it done. San Diego heads into Kansas City, and Kansas City is a turd of a team. San Diego is a very good team, but I say Kansas City takes it at home. Wow! Speechless right now. San Diego losing on Monday Night Football. I think Phillip Rivers is pissed off, and I think he's going to show it to the Kansas City Chiefs. You're doing emotional insurance, and I like it. No, dude, listen. Here's the bottom line. My favorite football team is the San Diego Chargers. That's the bottom line. And I have to take that out of it. I've seen this team play, and I'm just trying to go on psychology. I'm trying to go on, you know, evidence. Well, evidence is 4-2 right now. Yep. Yep. But we also have the past, and we also have history. And, you know, I'd listen. I'm not trying to make anybody mad. I just think that the... Let's just leave it at that. I think it's going to be a hard-fought game, but I think San Diego will take it. Too talented. Dallas and Philadelphia. Always a great game. It doesn't matter if both teams are the worst teams in the NFL. That's always grimy. They used to call it the body back game. Yeah. That's going to be a great game. And I say Philadelphia beats.
The Dallas Cowboys at home. It's a division game. Dallas has been playing a little bit better. I'm going to go with the Cowboys over the Eagles. And I think this week's sure thing is New Orleans and St. Louis for sure. There's no question. I don't think that St. Louis is going to beat them. New Orleans just hung 62 points on Jacksonville last Monday. I think their offense is clicking pretty good. M1 Castile. From San Diego, what was the word of the day? That's right. You want to see Yo Gabba Gabba live? Hang on the line. So, our friend Jay. At SOB. Oh, he's something else. Oh, he's something. Something else. I was on the beanbag here in the studio. Weird. L-O-B. Weird. L-O-B. I sleep. Weird. L-O-B was sitting in her normal. chair where she is right now. Woods was walking around. Weird. He does like a pace thing sometimes. He's got a lot of nervous energy. Yeah. A big guy. And then Jay was sitting in the chair next to me and he was just coming up with ideas, sharing his ideas at our weekly meeting. Shot down. Again. His idea was, so... Hold on.
Don't freak out, Matt. Listen, this is real. He goes, this is real. I don't even know if I want to say this one. This is real. Apparently, it's a thing right now where girls, like normal girls, are going on the internet and they will go out on dates with guys. With the highest bidder. To the highest bidder. And they're just normal girls. Right. And I go, really? I said, where is it happening? He goes, all over. It's like a thing. And there's like a website and everything. Now, Jay knows I'm not into giving out websites, especially when it's a weird, you know, like if it's something porno. If you want it, you can message me on Facebook on Jay. No, don't say that. What a creep. Yeah, I don't want to put that out there. It's the same thing. So anyway, so Woods goes to the website.
And Woods goes, these girls are topless. Not all of them. There's a couple of topless girls. Oh, my gosh. How did you think I was going to do a topless website? They're not all topless. Some have tops. And LOB goes, she looks over at the screen and she goes, gee, these are escorts. Yeah. No, they're not all escorts. They're not all. I'm sure there's some escorts in there. That's the definition. Well, yeah. I mean, we can dirty up the word and call it a prostitute. Yeah. Yeah. Even worse. Yeah. Women want to know how much, I mean, they're impressed by a man's, how much money he makes, how much power he has. So here's an opportunity for them to see. It's a job opportunity. Now, in essence, what it boiled down to was. Jay came to the table with an idea, and the idea was, let's look at escort services. My thought was we put L.O.B. up there and see what you could bring. But I wouldn't go on a date with that. No, I mean, it's up to you to turn it down or accept it. His idea was to pitch L.O.B. putting herself up as an escort. Yeah. But he thought, well, Mac's dumb.
I know how to get this idea across him. I'll just say it's normal girls. I never looked at any of the pictures. Didn't you? Look, Mike, I have said repeatedly, time and time again, that all women are, in fact, prostitutes. I have said it. So what's the difference? I have said it, Mike. I've said it over and over and over. But in defense to me, when I said it, I said it the way that every single guy in America has ever said it, as a joke. I was kidding. The 17 times I said it. That's right. I didn't mean it. And everybody knows that it's true, number one. And they know, number two, that it's very funny. Thank you. Thank you. Now, here was this other idea. Oh, boy. This is great. This is Ted Bundy-esque. Yeah. You're crazy. Very Ted Bundy. He goes, I think L.O.B. can cry on demand. Yeah, she's an actress. Or an actor. And I remember thinking in my head, where is he going to go with that? Where's this going? And he says, so I say we do a contest. And we ask for girls to come up and see if they can do it too. Now, I never got as far as, well, how is it a contest? Who's the best at it? Who's the best at it? Yeah. And I said, well, Jay, why would anybody want to see people cry? Or more importantly, hear.
People cry. Hear them cry. Be great video. Why do people want to see me get checked in the boys? Because it's funny. It's funny. It would be pretty funny watching them cry. It's funny watching people cry. That's it. That's the sadist part of it. I think it's freaking hysterical to see girls cry. I mean, gosh, if I can get my wife, it's one thing. But if I can get my daughters going, oh, I just laugh and laugh. It's not real. Mike, can I come around just... For that redhead over there? Is it okay if I come around to your side of the board? So I can look her out in the face when she does it. Does anyone find it creepy in our audience that Jay's idea was to have a cry contest? A cry-off. A cry-off. I want to see him cry. I'll interview them beforehand and I'll say, okay, what are some hardships you had? Then when it's their turn to go, I'll just start yelling out things like, remember when your grandmother died? Didn't your dad abandon you? That's right. Didn't you do a porn film? On a cry-sicle? How's that puppy of yours? Oh, yeah, dead. And then, see, we get them crying. God, ain't nothing better than a woman crying. And nothing sexier, actually. That's right. I think it's definitely a skill. Looks like the cry-sexual. Oh, I love it. Cry-sexual. It's not a skill. It's hilarious.
That's a good skill to have. That's funny. Oh, Mike, fine. Pretend you don't like to watch girls cry. Go ahead. Pretend. Way to poo-poo a good idea. Uh-huh. A cry contest. Cry contest. Or an escort service that we promote their website. And then he gets all huffy that his ideas don't get passed. 570-1949. Guys are clowns. Are we? Super clowns. Oh, man. It's a great skill to be able to watch somebody cry and they're like, look, that's convincing. Yeah, but you can hear it. This is Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey. And they're putting out a Christmas album together. This voice sounds kind of deep. I can't really judge it because I like that song. I like that song. It's one of my favorite Christmas songs. Me too. So what am I going to do? Of course I'm going to like it. But I think it's just...
Where's Mariah on it? Yeah, it's mostly him, right? Nice Bieber. Bieber. That's double fold. Works in two ways. Picture him just doing like the jitterbug. Back and forth. Don't you? Let's get my swerve on. It's like a Wham video. Yo, man, listen. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. You know why? You know what I'm getting for Christmas this year? What? I'm getting a continent. Justin Bieber. I'm buying a continent. You're going to buy a continent. I'm buying a continent. It's so hard to take him seriously because he's got that elf costume with the bell dangling in his face. Yo, this is my jester costume. Your what? My jester costume. Oh, right. Just in case? No, my jester costume. Like a jester. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen. You know what's up here. I guess. It's just dangling in your face. Yes, right. It's dangling in your face. You better save your money. He's 80 pounds soaking wet. Oh, boy. Almost over. Yeah, it is. $14.58. Woods, what's your favorite kind of candy? Oh, gosh. You might even put me on the spot like that, pal. Well, let me give you some choices. Candy bar? Okay. Let me give you some choices. Candy bar. I've been thinking about this for 15 minutes. Full size, fun size candy bars. Is it maybe, is it Skittles, Sweet Tarts, Starburst? Is it candy corn, Tootsie Roll, Lollipops? Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
I like the chocolate stuff. I like a Snickers. A good Snickers is good. Full size or the small size? Full size. Okay. L-O-B? I probably like the Reese's peanut butter cups. Wherever they fall under. Okay. Good. You can still have them. Jay? I'm more of a bite size. Weird. I'm done. I like the bite size. That's my favorite because I like the variety. That's true. That and you can't eat a lot of sugar. Can't eat a lot of sugar. Right. I'd do it because I'd like to stay in shape. Oh. It's true. I'm sure it does. I have one per season. One per quarter. Well, per four years. I'll give myself one per quarter. One per presidential election, okay? That's right. One per term. What a jerk he is. Well, what you like in terms of candy says something about your personality. They have figured this out. If you like the little candies, The little candy bars, the fun-sized candy bars, means you're normal. You care about tradition, like Halloween, but not too much. You're not over the top. You also know what most kids want, because that's what they want. They don't want the full-sized bars. People think they want full-sized bars. They don't. They want the fun, little, candy-sized little candy bars. If you are a person that likes candy that doesn't have chocolate on it,
Meaning you're the person that gives out things like Skittles, Sweet Tarts, Starburst. You don't care about Halloween. You just want to make sure everybody knows you're unique, that you're different. And apparently ignoring kids' love for chocolate makes you some kind of trailblazer. So that's the kind of candy you give out. Candy corn. So good. Here's what it says about you. You're El Cheapo. Well, first of all, the last time kids were excited about candy corn was between 1950 and 1960. So it either means that you're out of touch or you're trying to recreate your childhood. What about someone who wasn't even born then? I guess I'm just out of touch. Yes. Or cheap. Or cheap. El cheapo. I like to eat it, not give it out. I mean, you're a psychopath. Yeah, if you like candy corn and you like the way it tastes, psychopath. Or sex perfect.
I love candy corn. Case in point. Yep. Point proven. Tootsie Rolls. You could make an argument here for Tootsie Rolls because they're, first of all, according to Gawker.com, they are a delicious candy. People like them. They're good. But a person that gives Tootsie Rolls out is a simpleton. Wow. You're a dunce. Yeah. Simpleton, a dunce. But? You're also classic. Somebody gives out lollipops. They're not into Halloween. In fact, they may even be porch light off guy. But you want to have something just in case kids knock on your door. The full-size candy bar. Woodsy. You know what it says about you? What's that? One of two things. You're either A, trying to impress your neighbors by giving away full-size candy bars. Or you're so emotionally scarred.
That you're desperate and need the approval of nine-year-olds. Fair enough. I believe that you do. You get behind both those. We give away full-size candy bars as well. And Woods, that definitely defines me. Oh, yeah. Totally. Me and you. It works. Let's see. When we come back, L.O.B. is going to be on a street corner. Weird. Dream come true. And she's going to be dressed as Elvira. If you would like to see it, if you would like to see L.O.B. dressed as Elvira, Friars and Frazee, in about five minutes. She's going to be standing on the southwest corner of Friars and Frazee, dressed as Elvira. It's next. That stuff's gooey. You've got to have a screw loose to go in for that sort of thing. Call 5701.

I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Good morning to you. This is Bird from Bird Surfshed with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a beautiful Friday morning. TGIF, I guess they say. Looking pretty fun out there right now. We've got some clear skies, light offshore winds, grooming some small surf. Southwest really swell direction is the dominant angle. Secondary northwest still crossing it up. That southwestern is on the fade, though, so look for a gradual decrease throughout the day.
Combine that with some high tides that we're going to be rushing up to later in the morning, and you might want to try to hit your window right now. Looking at waves running in that need-of-waste-eye zone, chest-eye-plus, maybe even a few shoulder-highways if they'll stand out in spots. Most open to the southwest well direction, mainly in the ocean side areas and up and around that range. Clear, clean conditions, offshore winds, and relatively warm water for this time of the year in the lower 60s. If you've got nothing else to do, go surfing. When I used to be on the radio and my name was Michael Shannon. And I wore suspenders. Woods. Don't lie to me, dude. You lie to girls, okay? You don't lie to me. Lauren. Yellow means speed up. Yep. Yellow means hurry up and go. And Jay. So what if I like to surf every day? On FM 94.9. Just a second. Hello, V. Hello. If you are driving by Friars and Frazee right now, the sexiest, spookiest thing ever. Hello, V. Oh, a cop. A cop drove by.
He shook his head. Oh, that's great. Cop drove by, shook his head. I waved at him and he shook his head. What are you supposed to be doing? Yeah, you're just there. She strips, I think. Yeah, that's what I heard. You're on the corner of Friars and Frisee. That's right. And we're in the heart of Mission Valley, so if you're on the 163, just take Friars Road West. And right there at that intersection. Right here. Friars and Frisee. We have L.O.B. dressed up as Elvira. Honk your horn. If you drive by and you see her, I want you to honk your horn. Yes. Oh, yeah. They're honking. They're honking. That's awesome. And they want to see her. Oh, my gosh. There's a lot more cars out there than usual. Yeah. Friars and Frisee is the corner. L.O.B. is out there as a sexy Elvira. She's a much bigger draw than I am. Oh, babe. A few LOBs yelled out the window. We can see her. We can see her from the building that we're in. And again, we want you to honk your horns as you drive by. Let us know that you're seeing LOB. LOB, is this your first street corner bit? This is my first street corner bit, yes. Well, for work. For work. Well. Woo! Yeah, guys! She's loving it. Yeah, she is.
I'm standing here with my arms outstretched like game gum. Wow. Oh, that big cement trunk. That's right. Weird that the driver was a black guy. Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah. He's got a good turnout. Is Chris out there with you? Chris is out here with me, yeah. Sweet little Chris who's dressed as a vampire. Yeah. We had to walk past the sprinklers about a mile to get here. Why did you guys have to walk so far? Oh, wow. Look at that. People are driving by the corner of Friars and Frazee looking at Elvira. There's some creep. Is there a creep near you? Say tippy toe if there is. Oh, wow. There is a creep. Oh, yeah. She can't say it. So this is a creep that's standing by you, but you can't say it out loud, right? Yeah. Yes, that's correct. That's correct. I can't see him from here, but I want to get a profile. You say tippy-toe if I'm right. White guy? Is it a white guy? No. No, no, it is not. Does he look like Mikey? No. Does he have Mikey's persuasion? Yes. Oh, he's a Mexican? No. Okay, all right. There's a guy out there just creeping, just looking, standing there, just staring at her, looking like the girl that just came out of the well in the ring.
Do you need me to come down there? No, we're good. Chris has my back here. Well, like I said, do you need me to come down there? I got some waves. Come on, honk, if you're like Elvira. Yeah, if you like Elvira, give her a honk. 570-1949 is our number if you've seen her. If you drove by, saw her. I want a bird's eye view from down there and tell us how she is. Tell me how the creep is. My goodness, Woodsy, no offense. There's a lot more cars to see this girl than to see the guy. Now, it doesn't have anything to do with popularity. Yeah, you guys should be on TV together. Oh, gosh. Just you and her should be. I'll just fade back. I feel very strange. Yeah, well, there's a lot of people staring at you. We can see them from here. Yeah. Holy cow, man. Don't cause an accident, L.O.B. Gosh, darn, she's got traffic. Like mad. Holy cow. Wow. Yeah, honk if you see L.O.B. in L.O.B.
Yeah. I'm going to have you stay there for a couple of more minutes, and then you've got to get up here for our CW6. We're going to be on the CW6 here in just a little bit. Oh, okay. All right? All right. So just stay there a few more minutes. You've done your due diligence, and then you can come back up. Okay. Thank you. You got it. That's Elavira. Elavira. Let's see. We're also going to be... This is a crazy story, man. This weekend... 48 Hours Mystery, Murder in the O.C., has to do with a former New England Patriot and Indianapolis Colts linebacker named Eric Naposki. And is he the guy that killed this wealthy California businessman? Wow. Did he do it? Or was it a bombshell? Would-be Orange County housewife that did it? You're going to have to find out. Jay, who are we talking to? Is it what correspondent? Yeah, I got to find out what correspondent. Troy. Troy Roberts. Got it. Troy Roberts. And that is coming up in just a little bit. If you haven't seen 48 Hours Mystery, set it on your DVR. It's amazing. It's top notch, man. I watched the trailer for it this morning. Wow. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Here's a little bit.
Well, Bill McLaughlin, he was kind of living the dream. You know, he had a nice lifestyle. He was a multimillionaire. He had a boat. He had a private plane. He had a beautiful bayside home. He had two beautiful daughters and a handsome young son. His family was everything to him, and his kids, especially all three of us. After almost 25 years of marriage, things were getting a little rocky between Bill and his wife. He got divorced in 1990. My mom actually left the relationship, and that crushed my dad. After his divorce, he eventually would meet somebody new. Hot eight. She's not an eight. Yuck. Dad, you're dating this young chick? It boosted his self-esteem to have this young girl around. Working her magic and making him feel good. And then a tragedy struck.
One and only son, Kevin, had just been hit by a drunk driver. He had a severe brain injury. Broke my dad's heart. Bill McLaughlin loved his son, and he was devoted to his recovery. Kevin made progress, but Bill never got to see it. December 15, 1994, it's right before Christmas. The moon is almost full. Bill McLaughlin came home from Las Vegas. He ate dinner with Kevin. Kevin was upstairs listening to music. Bill went into the kitchen for some reason, and unbeknownst to him, he was about to die. And at that point, the killer was coming through the pedestrian access gate. He got inside the house. He came around the corner. There was Bill McLaughlin standing face to face with his murderer. The killer shot him six times. Wow. And then fled. Kevin hears the gunshots.
I was thinking, oh my God, what's going on? And he went downstairs to investigate. Sees his father. Kevin immediately dialed 911. Newport Beach Emergency, please fire panic. Oh no! He cannot communicate to the 911 operator because of his brain disability. I don't understand you. Oh, that's terrible. Watching his father die at his feet. It's heart-wrenching. Is your father or your dog? Where are you? Nobody deserves to die the way my dad died. Months went by and then two years went by. And we kept waiting. They said we just don't have enough information. Finally, 15 years later, we were able to make an arrest. The shooter, it turns out, was a former NFL linebacker. The other person involved in the murder was a housewife living right here in Orange County. You can only imagine it was such a shock to all of us. Now, I guess the question is...
Was it this chick, the bombshell chick, Nanette? Is that who it was that was behind it? Yeah. And I guess to get all the dough, right? Or the wife. Let's see. The ex-wife. Yeah. Let's see. This is Troy Roberts. Are you there, Troy? Yes, Mikey? Yes. Hey, how you doing? Good. Troy is the correspondent that worked on this case, right? Yes, sir. From 48 Hours Mystery. We know that this guy, Eric Naposki from New England, he's a former Patriot and Indianapolis Colt. We know that he was the guy that was arrested for the murder, right? Yes. Okay. Is there any doubt in our minds watching the show he's the one that did it? Well, there is some doubt. I mean, he says he has an alibi that he was nowhere near the crime scene at the time of the murder.
girlfriend at the time, Nanette Johnston, who was Bill McLaughlin's girlfriend as well. Eric Naposki says that Nanette Johnston hired a hitman and killed Bill McLaughlin, and she stood to inherit a million dollars from his life insurance and $150,000 in a free house. The day before the murder, though, she embezzled a quarter of a million dollars from this guy's account. So there was a whole lot of crazy going on. Wow. This is fascinating. Now, okay, so now Nanette, the girlfriend. Right. She obviously is being called into question in this episode, which airs, by the way, tomorrow night at 10 o'clock. And it's called Murder in the O.C., 48 Hours Mystery, one of the greatest shows on TV. Oh, thank you. And Nanette. is also being investigated, but she's got... She's been charged, actually, Mikey, with murder, and her trial is scheduled to begin in a couple of weeks. Now, she had a good alibi, too, though, right? Yes, she had an alibi that she was shopping at the time. But just talk about Shady. I mean, that's the only way you can describe her, a master manipulator. She met this multimillionaire, Bill McLaughlin, after placing an ad in a magazine seeking a wealthy man.
And he just showered her with gifts and jewels and cars. And she was so greedy that she wanted more. Outside of the $250,000 that she embezzled, she helped herself to another $300,000 from his account by forging his signature on checks. No way! And she served like 180 days in jail for that 17 years ago. And when she was released... She found yet another wealthy man and had a baby with him. That marriage failed, and then she went on to marry an even wealthier guy. She's a master manipulator. She knows how to play to her strengths because she's extremely beautiful. Yeah, how old is she? Right now she's in her late 30s. Late 30s. Yeah. The thing that always gets me about stuff like this is this guy, Bill McLaughlin, that was killed. Is it McLaughlin or McLaughlin? McLaughlin. McLaughlin. I always think to myself, you know, in order for this guy to become as wealthy as he was, probably had a good brain on him, had a good head on his shoulders. How do they not see a chick like this and who she is? How do they not see it? You know, how do they not know that she's been charged with someone else's murder in her life? How do you not know crap like that?
Well, I mean, we see it all the time. I mean, look at Hefner. You go down to Boca, you can see a ton of older men with much younger women. It makes them feel alive again. And I guess you put blinders on about the other stuff, just as long as you get what you want in the bedroom. The guy was worth 60 million bucks. Holy smokes. 60 mil in the health care technology industry. That's where he built it. That's a lot of dough. And the great thing about this show is that they will follow. They'll take the most. That's the part of it that I think is the most fascinating. Is when they break down the crime scene. What they found. Take her alibi. Try to match it up. Take his alibi. Try to match it up. Is this guy the former NFL player? Is he in prison right now? He's in jail now awaiting sentencing. I spent about six hours with him in jail. And, you know, he's a big guy, 6'3", 250 pounds. Very complicated. I mean, there's a real edge to him, but he's also pretty affable. And he repeatedly professes innocence.
He said he got played by this woman, just like all the other men in her life. But now he's looking at a life sentence without parole. Now, she tried to set him up and did set him up. That's what he's alleging. Yeah. But the DA says that those two were as thick as thieves, that she was stealing from Bill McLaughlin for a future with Eric Naposki. And he was in on it. Wow. Man, dude. Dude's an NFL football player. Anyway, this story is going to be on 48 Hours Mystery. Tomorrow night, it's Murder in the O.C., and it's at 10 o'clock at night. I have every episode. I have every episode, and they're great, man. They're really good. This is Troy Roberts, who works on the case. I appreciate you coming on the air and talking to us about it. Thanks, Mikey. Have a good weekend. All right, you too. Can't wait to see it. No doubt, man. Hello, Vira. Just walked back in the studio. Hello, Vira. How was that? It was fine. It was fun. Was it kind of fun? Yeah. It was nice to be out there with the people. People just honking at you. Yeah. I think there was a lot of people who had no idea who I was or why I was out there. Right. But they were enjoying the show. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. I got a lot of truck drivers. They love to give the honk. And the catcall.
A pull down? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's not the sign. That's not what that means. That's a different kind of sign, actually. That's a different kind of sign. Probably wouldn't have. That's why they were smiling. Yep, that's a very private sign. But thank you. 570-1949 is our number. And speaking of Snooki, she went on live with Regis and Kelly. Did you know Regis leaving that show, by the way, after 142 years behind the helm? He's going to be leaving that show. But anyway, apparently Snooki went on and she got him to take his shirt on. Regis with no shirt? Yeah. Does that kind of gross you out? Yeah. Well, let's hear what it sounded like. So are there any props we should have? Yeah. How do I get Snooker eyes to? You're going to get Snooker eyes? I think so. I hope so. It's called Snookified, Regis. Snookified. Oh, look at the bag with the S on it. Hey.
But this is the kind of tie that you... Very thin, huh? Thin ties? Snook? Snook. Snook. And reach. Yeah, you just take off your shirt and just have no shirt and a tie. What? Then why don't I get a tie? Well, like a stripper. Yeah, like, just rip your shirt off. You don't have to. It's okay. And then... You ready for this? Yes. You're getting naked. Bite chest. Pubes. Yeah. Grey. Happy trail. Oh, wow. Just a reach. trail. A reach trail. Just loose skin. Just saggy boobs. Big old nipples. Nipples just pointing right at the floor. Pierced. Oh! Wow. Can you imagine? Well, I can now. I wouldn't have ever. I would have never imagined. 570-1949 had a conversation between it was like all of us.

These days, you see a lot of Boar's Head wannabes. Brands of cold cuts that say, well, they're sort of, kind of, almost as good as Boar's Head. Truth is, they're not even close. Being Boar's Head means using only the best cuts of meat and the highest quality artisan cheese. These cost money, and wannabes won't spend it. Being Boreshead means never using scraps or artificial colors, never cutting corners to save a few cents, never making compromises. Being Boreshead also means only offering our products to stores that we trust will handle and serve them well. These stores want to stand for the best, and they know you can't be a first-rate store and sell second-rate cold cuts. So it's no surprise that the highest quality grocery stores and independent markets in America carry Boreshead instead of the wannabes.
What brand of cold cuts does your store sell? Boar's Head. Compromise elsewhere. Try a slice of Boar's Head premium deli meats and cheeses in select supermarkets, gourmet stores, and fine eateries. Welcome back. So we are going to talk to Woodsy about some comments that he made yesterday. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. Okay. Snooki, first of all, she wrote a book. Snooki wrote a book. Yeah.
Watch the Jersey Shore. And so I don't know what the different personalities are like. I can name almost everybody on it. Dina. Mm-hmm. JWow. Mm-hmm. Mike the Situation. Mm-hmm. Snooki. Jessica? No, Jessica. JWoww? You said that. Sammy? Sammy. Did you say Dina? Yep. So I can name everybody, but I don't know what they're like, you know? I just know that they have sex, they lift weights, they get in fights. There's a lot of drama. Do they all live in one house? Yes. Okay. So that's what I know. Now, Woods...
Do you watch the show? No. Have you ever seen it? Yep. Okay. Because Woods made this very bold statement that Snooki is unattractive. He does not believe she is attractive. Okay? And, you know, he took it a step further. He said she is not, I can't remember how you phrased it, but you said she was not attractive. It was a pig. Wow. He may have used the U word. U word? Ugly. Oh, yeah, she's ugly. Now. Straight up. No. Yeah. She's fugly. She's fugly. I said, Woods, I said, why do you not have the ability to separate personality from appearance? And he goes, I do. I do. She's fugly. I said, Woods, if she walked in here right now, you wouldn't say that's an ugly girl. I would. He would. I honestly would. He would. I honestly would go. It is. Couldn't be further from a look that I'm. in on. You know what I mean? Okay, but isn't Susan Boyle... No, she's sweet. She's old. Oh, so she's... She's not... No, because she's older. Huh? She's older. She's an older... How old is Snooki? 23? Five? 23? 20s. Dude, for a 23-year-old broad, she is ugly and haggard. Now, you're talking Susan Boyle's 50 years old or something. I'm not saying she's ugly, but she ain't as ugly as Snooki. Uh...
Now, I wonder if Susan Boyle was known for the same kind of behavior, if you would say, she's not ugly. Probably not. You'd say she's ugly. Yeah, probably. Snooki lost some weight. She's actually a lot cuter than she was. Well, I know I pulled up some pictures and holy smokes. What's the first thing that happens when you Google image Snooki? An orange oompa loompa. Let's see. I'm going to Google image Snooki. Snooki. S-N-O-O-K-I-E. I. Just no E. Oh, no E. Okay. There we go. And images. And I'm going to click on the first photo. That's a costume. That's not her. Sorry. I'm sorry. That's not her, dude. Please forgive me. Go to the fourth one from the left. Oh, God. I mean, that is just hideous. Well, the hairstyle is ridiculous. All of it. It's ridiculous. I mean, there's orange.
The skin. The double chin. Weird stuff. I know who ate Gilbert Grape. Look. Oh, boy. Some of them, she definitely looks like she's eating a cow. But the other one, she looks okay. What would she do for a Klondike? Well, listen. Here's the deal. I guess I'm not saying that I look at her. Oh, God. Listen, I've woken up next to worse. I'm telling you. But I'm just asking you. I'm telling you right now. That is not good. Dude, I, okay. You are a guy that really appreciates a beautiful woman. And I can't, in my mind, I can't get around this. I think you're doing it just to do it. But in my mind, I'm like, Mikey really appreciates a beautiful woman. So what do you think my opinion of her is? What do you think I think of her? Take a guess. That she's cute.
Oh, yeah, I would definitely give her cute. No, I don't give her cute. I don't give her cute. Yeah, I'm not saying, oh, my goodness, this chick's hot. We're talking about Snooki, if you're just tuning in. Oh, my gosh, this chick's hot. But I certainly don't. She ain't got, like, crocodile teeth. No, dude, but she's ugly. Like, if you ask yourself, what makes a chick ugly? Okay, let's say that it's just pockmarks or zits or crooked teeth or whatever. Like, none of that. I don't see it. It's hard to get past the color of her skin. She doesn't look like a crackhead or anything. No, she doesn't look like a crackhead, but she looks like a little meatball. Maybe my standards are, you know, my standards are not as high as your standards because it takes a lot. It takes a lot for me to be like, wow, fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Identical Snooki. Oh, wow. And, you know, Jay didn't think so. L.O.B. was in agreement. Well, Jay's a sex pervert. That's true, too. He's probably into weird, creepy pornography. I didn't consider that. He doesn't think Megan Fox is good looking, but he thinks Snooki is. Yeah. So there goes any, you know, credibility. He's not allowed to comment. I mean, it took it all out. It took all the air out of myself. Megan Fox ain't nothing, but Snooki, I like. She got weird thumbs. If you're going to dislike someone, you could dislike them both.
Listen to this. Mikey just brought a home in the suburbs after living in the city for 10 years. I noticed that people here like to walk their dogs without a leash. My dog is a rescue, but still has some aggression issues. I attend an HOA meeting to explain to the people the importance and reasoning for leashes. They pretty much ignored my concern. Very next day, I took my dog for a walk with a leash, as always. Two golden retrievers off the leash galloped towards us. I yelled to the owner that my dog was aggressive. She smiled with her oversized visor and walking stick and said that they're okay. All this is happening as I'm holding my dog back and blocking the two golden retrievers. Suddenly, one of the dogs got through my legs and my dog let him have it. He ripped his ear. Completely off. Oh, my gosh. It was hanging by a thread. All of a sudden, the dog's owner is screaming at me. Well, I'm not proud to say that I screamed right back. And I might have used some obscenities. Come to find out, she lives directly next door to me. Let's see. My wife wants me to apologize to her, and I said no.
She feels that the rules don't apply to her. And that because she's retired, she can do whatever she wants. Well, happy birthday. She even called the cops on me. After explaining what happened to them, they quickly dismissed the entire issue because I was in the right. I had the leash. I know I should be the bigger person. But after talking to the other neighbors, this lady refuses to use a leash. Those dogs parade around. causing people to break suddenly as they dart out into the street. She believes that just because she picks up the poo, she's entitled to walk her dogs off the leash. What do you guys think? Thanks for listening, M1 Bernie. Well, I never feel like saying you're sorry to somebody if they're hurting, you know, is a bad idea. If you don't, all it is is just, it's a douchey guy pride.
It's just douchey guy pride. Not saying sorry? Yeah, I mean, because the bottom line is that, you know, yes, you are in the right. This dude is in the right, and this woman is in the wrong. And her dogs are in the wrong. And you know who doesn't get their dog's ear bitten off? The person that has their dog on a leash. What is he to apologize for? Just her dog getting hurt. Hey, listen. And for yelling at her? For yelling at her, maybe, and just saying, hey, listen, I'm really sorry what happened to your dog. Right. Boy, his dogs seem pretty aggressive, though. Well, they were on a leash, so. Yeah, well, dogs on a leash, maybe you should have a muzzle. He was a rescue when he was on a leash. Why should we have to muzzle him? I mean, if your dog even came up on a leash, you'd still attack. You'd have to hold your dog back. But maybe the dog felt more attacked because he was on a leash and the other dog wasn't. Or running free towards him. Put your dogs on a leash if you're going to walk. I can just say my dog would never attack. Well, that perfect fill over there. Did you get your dog at a shelter? No. Oh, yeah, I did, actually. But he was a puppy. Well, wait a minute, though. Of course there are dogs that don't attack. I mean, I've never had a dog that attacked. But they're unpredictable. They're unpredictable dogs. Are they?
Well, that's why the dog's on a leash. That's why he's on a leash. What about when you go to a dog park? Oh, you're saying he should have trained his dog better. That's what you're saying. So it's his fault. Therefore, he put him on a leash. Even if my dog's on a leash or off a leash, he's not going to attack another dog. Well, this guy's does. Okay, then he should wear a muzzle. A muzzle? You should just kill him, maybe. Wait a minute. If he normally attacks, he should wear a muzzle. I'm getting a feeling here, though, that I never considered. And maybe dude doesn't know that his rescue dog is aggressive. He just said. He said his dog's aggressive. And he told the ladies at the Homeowner Association, my dog's aggressive. So put your dogs on a leash, please. I yelled at the owner that my dog was aggressive. So he knows the dog is aggressive. And they said, it's okay. And their dogs, basically, the rescue thought he was being attacked or his owner was being attacked. So he went to hell. Okay. If I'm walking a dog. on a leash that I know is aggressive, I'm going to take precautions. Like a leash. Well, yeah. That's all you got to do. But if I don't want the dog to bite some, I mean, you can't say to yourself that clowns don't exist. This woman's a clown. Well, absolutely. And the thing about this guy that really broke my heart is that he knew and he's like, listen, I noticed in our neighborhood there's a ton of dogs.
Walking around in people's front yards without leashes. Okay. Which, happy birthday, man. Obviously, they're disturbing traffic, he said, in his neighborhood. If you're responsible, you'll put them on a leash. No. People walk dogs in my neighborhood without leashes all the time. That's irresponsible. The law is to have them on a leash. Yes, it is. And what about when you walk by somebody? That's the law, by the way. I know. I understand. Dude, we said she's breaking the law. But it's not like... Just because that's the law, people are going to follow it. You know, I'm going to take precautions. I don't want my dog to bite anybody. She shouldn't complain because her dogs were off the leash attacking. Of course, that dog that's on a leash and being bridled in by their owner is going to feel like. If he knows his dog's aggressive. But aggressive is different than an attack dog. It's what he's saying, though. He says, my dog will. He might as well just say, hey, my dog is going to attack you. If attacked. If provoked. Provoked. Like they come up wanting to play. That's provoked. Yes. What about this? What about this, Woods? They're walking by people that got their kids. And the kids don't do anything to the dog. But the dog's aggressive and bites the kid. You know, it wouldn't have happened if they had a muzzle on him.
He knows he's aggressive. Yeah, he does know he's aggressive, but this doesn't have anything to do with kids. This has to do with two dogs attacking. It doesn't this time. But I don't know if there's ever been an incident. I don't know if there's ever been an incident. And in my yard, I don't have to have my dog on a leash. He can be in the front yard playing. We can be throwing the ball. And if my dog just runs out immediately to your dog on the street and he bites him. Yeah, he does. Because that's what he's, that dog is. If he's aggressive, I would put a muzzle on him. Oh, that's crazy. Maybe he should put him down. No, I didn't say that. I would say until he gets his training around other dogs in check, he has to wear a muzzle. This cat did nothing wrong. Nothing. I don't think he did anything wrong. I mean, you couldn't be, when the cops came, they're like, yeah, you didn't do anything wrong. Yeah, but just because it's not against the law doesn't make it right. Yeah, just because she's wrong don't make him right. It absolutely makes him right. What was he doing? He was just out walking his dog. And he tried to warn her. Well, let's see what people think. 570-1949. And my answer is, well, he knew he had an aggressive dog and he didn't put a muzzle on him. One more step. But the muzzle is after they attack. That's freaking shocking. It's not to say that he attacked. What does he mean by aggressive? Aggressive can sometimes mean you start barking, you start trying to pull away from your owner to go get to another dog. That's not what aggressive means. That's aggressive in my opinion.
exactly what he was supposed to do. Just the leash. Did he? That is the law. He followed the letter of the law to the letter of the law. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. I would be willing to bet if his dog bites someone else. If he didn't bite someone, he bit another dog and attacked him. If he bites another dog and it's going to be in the report, they're going to require him to either keep him in the back. There's going to be more rules put on him for sure. Biting a person is different than biting another dog. It's just one step away. Dog that attacked you. He's aggressive. The dogs are territorial. He didn't say attack. The dogs ran up to him. They didn't attack. They ran up to him. Hey, by the way, who the heck's going to be surprised if a known aggressive dog bites a person? Right. Hello, he's aggressive. That's what aggressive dogs do. They bite. Yeah, I would never describe a dog as a... I mean, none of my dogs have been aggressive. Well, you should open a... I don't know why, Jay. Why send your own D in there about how great a dog trainer you are? I'm just saying. You put up to training, they don't do it naturally. I mean, this dog's obviously been through something. Dude, we have a dog. We have a black lab named Shooter that we got from a shelter. The one that you don't like. I love him. He's like my best pal. Listen to this. Never exhibited any bit of aggressiveness, biting, nothing. I had a birthday party one year. A guy climbed over our little ghetto fence that we made. Shooter attacked him. And we'd had Shooter for about a year.
We had no idea. None. He's the most chilled dog in the world. Didn't like what he saw. Thought we were being threatened and attacked the guy. They're still animals is what people have to remember. They're not always predictable. Never exhibited anything. We were like, oh my God. It's in your yard. Yeah, it's in your yard. He's protecting his... He's in your yard. That guy was walking down his street with a dog on a leash. If you were walking... I mean, I had no idea. If you were walking a shooter down the street and he bit a kid... you're probably going to get in trouble. Well, there's no question. You know, right? I don't know. M1 Bear from Marina. Hey, Mike Show. How are you guys doing this morning? Good. All right. Well, I've got an interesting one for you. I don't know how you guys want to react to it. Basically, I used to live in a large, not really a large apartment complex. It's a large building. And at the time, I basically took in a pit bull rescue. I had plans to move and was going to. you know get a larger area because i knew the dog was eventually going to get big and i adopted him when he was just a puppy well at about nine months old it was june of last year he was being babysat by my brother-in-law and his wife and basically escaped out the back door well there's a common area between the apartment buildings where i live and he escaped into that area just my neighbor was coming out with his dog
My dog started running towards him, and my neighbor started violently kicking my dog to the point where it broke two of his ribs. And then he threw himself on top of my dog, started strangling him under his right arm, and then my dog bit down on his right thumb. So he started pulling his hand out from my dog's mouth and everything, and it nearly tore his thumb clean off. It actually took his skin all the way down to the bone at one point. And now my neighbor is now suing me for $250,000, and I had to have the dog put down. Now, was the dog trying to attack his dog? From what I understand, no. From what you understand? Reason being is because I was at the, I work at the airport, and I was at work at the time, and from the time that I got there, he had already been bit. Okay, so where, okay. This happened right... There's two buildings in my car. So when you tell the story, where does the story come from since you weren't there to witness it yourself? Where does it come from? From my brother-in-law who was sitting there watching it and my other brother-in-law who was actually up in his bedroom out the window filming it on his cell phone at the time. Do you have the footage of... Because it seems strange that a dog would...
come up to somebody, and the person would just decide to start kicking the dog and tackling it. His argument was that he had heard that my dog had supposedly attacked somebody before, and he was therefore scared in defending his dog, which he was well within his right. And the fact that my dog was off the leash made him think that he needed to defend his dog for whatever reason. It's one of the worst stories I've ever heard because, you know, I hate to say it to Bear, but, like, same thing with this lady. If your dog's off the leash and makes what somebody perceives as an aggressive move, it's kind of on you, you know? Even though the difference being I'm not intentionally walking my dog out without a leash, he escapes out the back door. That's hard, dude. It's your responsibility. I think at the end of the day they say, you know, it's your responsibility. Unfortunately.
That is a really crappy story. Yeah, it's awful. Because you lost your dog. You're getting sued. Yeah. I mean, there's no win. We feel for you, bro. Big time. Big time. You know I do. I'm not discounting. It's my responsibility. It's the thing that I was still, part of the argument that I'm trying to make was that he was nine months old when this was happening. He was still a puppy at the time. He was a puppy? How big was he? He was just shy of 20 pounds. I want to say about 18 and a half. Pushed 19. And he was a pit bull mix, pure chocolate. The only white spot he had on was a tiny, tiny little white spot and stuff. And then he was all chocolate brown. Makes me sad. Very sad. It's sad. You know, you got to be with your dogs, you know. You got to be careful. Just like these old ladies should have been. Hey, thank you. Thank you guys. Take care. Thank you. Yeah, we don't. We just have a cat. Yeah. Jules. Yeah. Little angel of a cat. He didn't attack anybody. He acts like a dog. Yeah. You can pet him like a dog. That's the line. He's awesome. I don't know why you don't like that cat a little bit more. 570-194-9. I don't know. Wow. I don't know. You guys are clowns. Mike's on one today. You are on one. Oh, my God. You are on one. Oh, my God. I don't know what happened. I don't either. Hey, remember when we said that the...

We got Eric Turner coming in here. I love this. Yeah. He's the guitar player for Warrant. The founding member. Pretty awesome. Yeah, dude. Pretty awesome. I freaking love hair metal so much. It makes me so happy. I know it. I love it. Well, we're going to ask him all about the days with Warrant, what it was like back in... Man. Back in the day, dude. On the Sunset Strip, just kicking it real good. I mean, when it was the real deal. That was it. I wonder, do you think he'll take offense to hair metal? Because I wonder that. No. Would that bother you if they called it hair metal? I don't think so. I don't think so either. I think that's what even they know it as. I would think it was. That's what they call it, hair metal. I think so, yeah. Glam rock? Yeah. Do you think they'd take offense to that? I don't think they'd take offense to any of those monikers. I hope not. Monster ballads. Oh, gosh, that feels so good. Mm-hmm. Okay, so check this out. This is a couple getting lost in an apple orchard. It happens. Haven't we all gotten lost in an apple orchard from time to time? Yeah, check this out. A couple calls for help after getting lost in the Honeypot Hill Orchard in Stowe. Stowe police quarter line? Yes, we're in the Honeypot Orchard.
Uh-huh. And we can't find our way out. I said, Marcia, we're going the wrong direction. She was screaming at me to shut up in a whole other language. Veteran Boston meteorologist Mark Rosenthal and his wife, Marcia, couldn't find their way back to their car after apple picking this weekend. I said, my problem is I'm holding this heavy bag of apples. We were walking for eternity, and we're never going to find our car because you're wrong, and you're leading me down the wrong path. We've never had anybody lost in the orchard to the point that they had to call for help. It was the first time in the orchard's 85-year history. Here you've got this 56-year-old guy who's a weatherman forever, who should know his geography, who's lost in an apple orchard, feeling like a jerk, calling the police. His wife called police when no one picked up at the orchard store. I said, what are you like? Woman who got lost in the maze? Earlier this month, a couple called 911 when they couldn't make it out of a corn maze in Danvers. I don't like an idiot. That's a good one. He felt stupid. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. What are you? Like this woman that got lost in an orchard? Really good. You're always talking. Shut up. You're always talking. So I says to her. So I says. This poor guy, first of all.
He got dragged out of his house to go to the freaking orchard. And then number two, he's carrying this giant bag of apples and they get lost and his wife's bitching at him the whole time. I don't believe it. I believe he was trying to put his weather thing on the map. Yeah. He just wants people to know. Yeah. I said, what do you say? It's like this woman that gets lost in things. How do you get lost in an apple? Isn't it straight lines? Or they just grow wild, willy-nilly? They're pretty much in lines. I thought they were lines. Well, they grow lines like this, but then when you look like this, they're lines like that, too. So they look both ways. Why don't you get deep in there? How about pick a direction and just walk? Go along the perimeter. Go one way, and if that doesn't work, go the other way. No, you got to get to the inside to get the good apples. Hey, we're not going to walk... miles and not find something. Just keep walking. It's a square. It's a big square. Where's the car? You're always walking. We've done it. We're never getting out. Oh my gosh. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. You call us 570-1949 is our number. Okay, so check this out. Guys, apparently our favorite sandwich.
is roast beef. Alright? Now chicks don't like it. Why does it gross you out so much? It looks weird. It's all dry. One in three guys says it's their favorite sandwich. I love a roast beef sandwich. I can get down with a roast beef sandwich. No problem. Yep. I'm the one who's out. You don't like roast beef? Yeah, that's right. You don't like beef. And excuse me, sorry. America's favorite sandwich is turkey. One in three adults say that it's their favorite and roast beef. One in three guys. Only one in ten women would opt for a roast beef sandwich. My wife, if we drive by a certain place that serves roast beef sandwiches, she makes her sick. Really? Yeah. She hates roast beef sandwiches. Me too. I love them. So do I. Doesn't look right. Give me some horsey sauce. Oh, my gosh. And that red song. Get knee deep in that stuff. Five for five real good. 19% of people have seen someone drunkenly argue with the boss at a company Christmas party. 9% say that they've seen somebody hook up with a co-worker. Hello, baby. Oh, wow. Zero. What?
Oh, my gosh. You're going to get us both in trouble for something that didn't happen. Just starting rumors? 100%. 52% of people have seen someone get drunk at a company-sponsored party and said that their behavior crossed over from, quote, embarrassing to inappropriate to downright dangerous. Hey, Mike, do you remember that time in Dallas that you and Eddie made me? got me really drunk and then made me get on stage and make fun of our general manager? Do you remember that? Well, we didn't make you. You nudged me. I don't think you had to have your arm twisted. They encouraged me to. Doesn't take much. We told them to do it. I think all you have to say is, hey, Woods, you should end. Yeah. That's it. And you know what? He did it. Oh, yeah. And we purposefully just stayed quiet. You didn't laugh. It was crickets. He looked at me. I did a bit. I did his voice. Oh. And that's what it was. And we're talking how many people? A couple hundred? A hundred? It's a big place. At least. Yeah. It's a big place. I would see there was between 100 and 200 people. Oh, yeah. And me with the mic. Hammered. Hammered. Hammered. And we go, hey, Woods, you know what you should do? Get up there and imitate Tom Shore. And I did. Our general manager. And I did. And he did. He got up and he goes, hey.
I'm Tom Schur. The streets are paved with gold. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Nobody laughed? No, we purposefully. And we were telling people around us. We're like, shh, don't. And so he does it. And Tom, Tom is like the only person that you hear going, kind of nervously. Oh, my God. True statement. 26%. Say that a co-worker or a supervisor shared inappropriate details about themselves or another co-worker. You know, and it happens, man. Somebody gets drunk and they tell you something about themselves that you just, you're like, that's so private. I don't need to know that. I don't want to know that. Yeah. Can I just say something? No, no, no, no. It's fine. I want you to know something. I have never told anyone. No, no, no. I don't want to know. My safe word? I don't want to know your safe word. I don't want to know your safe word. My safe word? I don't want to know your safe word. My safe word is moose. I don't want to know that. I don't want to know that your safe word is moose. Hey, you didn't use it? I don't want to. No, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Shh, don't tell anybody. Wait a minute. We've only talked twice, and it was both times. Oh, yeah. I know. Zip it. Zip. Okay, I'm going to zip it. Moose. Oh.
Oh, wow. Oh, wow. 19% say that they've seen someone drunkenly argue or get aggressive with the boss. What? Girl, how drunk? Ew! 30% have seen someone flirt with a co-worker or a supervisor. L.O.B. And 9% have actually witnessed two co-workers engaging in drunk sexual activity. L.O.B. God! At the Christmas party. Man, you've got to have some rocks to do that. The Christmas party? Man, that Monday morning is awkward back at work, dude. It's so awkward. If you work in a big company, oh. And you remember bits and pieces of it? Yes. And you're like, oh, gosh, no. Oh, my God. Tie around your head. Tie around your head. Lampshade bit. Yeah. Doing shots. All you remember is the... That carpet in the ballroom that you were in. People walk by you and they're always just, hey. That's all they say, but just give you like a wink. And you keep going, what? What? What is? What? What? You were hilarious on Friday. Oh, gosh. Hey, Mike, you were freaking excited. Was he something or what? I know. You're a funny guy. Dude. I know. I guess you're not shy like we thought. Oh, boy. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. You're a legend. You're a legend.
Give me five. No, no, no, no. I don't want to give you five. Yeah, you're a legend. Did anybody call you Saturday? About what? Mike? No, about. They didn't? No. What did I do? Why? That's shocking. That's shocking. What did I do? What did I do? I'm sure you're fine. Don't worry. You're fine. Have you got any emails or anything? No, I haven't. Nothing? You haven't seen the pictures. There's an online album. Oh, my gosh. You haven't seen it? You haven't seen it? You're like, I'll give you my Flickr account. You can look at it. They're on the company website. We always called them either that guy or that girl. You were that guy. And you're like, I was not that guy. You never want to be that guy. That girl is the worst. Yeah, being that girl is probably worse than being that guy. Our old boss at the last place we worked, she was that girl one year. She was thrown. It's been a pot plant out in the... I remember that. Pot plant. There's pot plants at the party? No. Pot plant. A plant. A potted plant. A potted plant. Pot plant. Two different things. In your world. It is 845. Yes, I'll come dial them up. And at 850, Lauren and I are going to go on television. Same spot, Jay? Yes, same spot. Okay, I'm going to go get a ball. Oh, I need to put on my costume.
Should I put... You can put your costume on. Are you sure? Yeah, yeah. I don't need to. You can put your costume on. Jay, you can take yours off. For the people in here, Woods. Oh, yeah, I will. I'll put my costume on. Yeah. All right. I am Captain America. Kind of. What? You don't have anything... You have a polo shirt and a mask on. I'm a Mexican Captain America. You're Captain Mexico? Yeah, Captain Mexico. I am Captain Mexico. How's this look, Woods? Looks good. All right. Jay? Let's see. I do have the rest of it. Yeah. Yeah. You make that right. Do it. And you got it dry cleaned. Weird. Yeah. Very nice. Rebecca actually had this taken to a dry cleaner. They must have been like, uh, sex pervert. Well, I mean, really? Let's see. Jay, when she zipped me up. That is cool.
Oh, wow. It's like a straight jacket. Yeah. Yeah, it is. Oh, there we go. That is rad. Yeah. Oh, boy, Jay. You look like a superhero. Jay's sipping him up. Oh, God. Oh, stop it, Jay. Such a jerk. Such a jerk. I can't imagine why I didn't want to wear it. Jay. He goes, I'm snug. Boy, this is pretty snug, isn't it, Mike? It looks great. Mike, you've been into art lately. I guess you painted on a shirt, didn't you? Oh, gosh. Mike, you going to give your testimony in there? Oh, my gosh. Dude, please don't. Don't. I would have to leave the room. It'd be a little odd, wouldn't it? Yeah. Hey, while we're waiting, a friend of mine is here and brought... Some stuff from her company. I want her to come up here. Heather, I hate to have you. Is that okay? No? I hate to have you. I hate to talk to you while I'm dressed as Captain America. That you never. Hey, this isn't the first time that we've talked with me in a Captain America outfit, right? Now, pull that thing down. Last time. Pull the microphone down. You have to have it about this close. You have to have it that close. Kind of short. Tell everybody the name of your company. All Things Sweet and Wonderful. Now, this is what I told.
I'm going to take this off. That was my nickname in college. Yeah, it was. Was it? Yeah. This is what I told her. She should be doing what she does for celebrities. Because you guys saw when she made the cake for Luke and Ryan. Did you see that? Oh, yeah. That's what she does. It's incredible. So basically, she does works of art that you can eat. Yeah. But they do look like works of art. EscondidoHumaneSociety.org. Come around. So, we're going to talk to you in just a minute. We're going to get all the info. Okay, as you head towards the weekend here, you know, dating will pick up steam a little bit, but we need to get some relationship advice before we head out there and get your questions answered. Actually, we're going to do that right after this break, but there are two things we're going to talk about with Mikey and Lilith from the show on 94.9. Mama's voice. Yeah, thank you. And ladies, they're going to be very shocked when they see us. Very shocked when they see us. Oh, wow, we look dumb. Just all done up in a weird outfit. Okay, go to CW6. You'll be able to see this live on television. And we're going to talk to Heather in a minute, too, and find out more about her company. I think they went to commercial, Jay said. Yeah, they did. Okay.
Woods just came back in in his costume, and it is a ghost with two eyes cut out of a sheet. Oh, wow, that was good. Oh, wow, Woods. By the way, Woods, tell everybody what you're doing this weekend. Well, Jay and I are playing a golf tournament today, and I am tomorrow going to be going to Temecula, be my first time in Temecula. Yeah. I'm going to be playing a song called Everlong on stage with a band called Old School. Now, there's also three, in my opinion, rock and roll legends joining us. Eric Turner from Warrant, Bobby Blotzer from Rat, the drummer, and Gilby Clark, who was in Guns N' Roses as a guitar player. I couldn't be more excited to get to meet these guys, introduce them. Hopefully, I get to jam with them at the second set, maybe.
It's going to be insane, man. It's going to be a lot of people. It's in Old Town Temecula, I believe. Just don't wear that outfit. Oh, I will not. I will not. But it starts, it's from noon to 1.30 as our first set. Yeah. And then the next set's like 4 to 5.30. So it's going to be an all-day event. If you ride bikes, man, it's going to be a ton of motorcycles. I'm riding a moped up there. It's going to look super cool. That's awesome. It's a lie. I'm not even that cool. You did say that you wanted to get a moped. That's a true statement. You said it yesterday. I do want one. And I would love to see you on a moped. Well, my wife won't let me get a motorcycle. Neither will mine. I want one badly. Both of our wives don't want us to die. I won't die. I've had one before. She's not going to let me. You know how to ride a bike? Oh, yeah. I had a bike for six months. I had a Yamaha Virago. What happened? I went to college and left it. It was actually a buddy's. He let me borrow it. And I loved it. I was going to buy it from him. And I didn't want to take it to school. Because I would have died then. There you go. I drank a lot. Yeah, he did. I did some drinking with you. All right, we're coming back. We're going to be on CW6 right now. You're going to see me in a Captain America outfit. And you'll get to see L.O.B. wearing her foxy. Yeah, she's dressed as Kate Middleton. Okay, let's get out to our friends at 94.9, The Mikey Show. Get some relationship advice here before the dating picks up steam this weekend. Mikey and L.O.B., good morning. Good morning. How are you guys? Are you wearing a wig or did you dye your hair? I'm wearing a wig. I'm Kate Middleton.
She's a brunette all of a sudden. I'm Kate Middleton in my engagement dress. And I am Captain America for Halloween. Yeah. I got to tell you, Mikey, you look like Dom DeLuise. I know. Yeah. What was it? I can't remember his name. I've said that. Dom DeLuise and Cannonball Run. Cannonball Run. Captain what? It was Captain whatever. I don't know. Him. Yes. But you're 100 percent with some relationship advice this morning. So let's get right to it. Hey, Candace wrote in and says, my boyfriend plays video games all the time. I've tried to join him, but I was bored to death. What can I do? Well, first of all, I would say. The good news is that he's just your boyfriend. The bad news is that he plays video games. And somebody once told me this, and I thought this was the greatest piece of advice I'd ever heard. They said, take the most annoying quality about your boyfriend or your girlfriend. Multiply it times 10. That's what it'll be like if you can marry him. If you can tolerate that, then you're good to go. Now, if she can tolerate that video game stuff.
Times 10, she can marry this guy. But if she can't, she's dating a video game guy. She's got to know. That's what he does. Yeah, and I think there's going to be stuff that... that either you're both into or just the one of you is into. Like, I'm sure he doesn't want to sit around and watch Sex and the City with us. Amen. Yeah. As long as he's making time and that's his thing that he does. Now, if he does it nonstop and there's no time for the two of you to hang out, then that's a problem. But if that's just his thing, whether it's that or watching football or playing guitar or doing whatever it is, you know, he's got to have his thing, but just not. Nine hours a day, maybe. At least he's home, though. It's good practice for her. My husband includes his mom in almost everything. I knew he was a mama's boy, but this is crazy. How do I tell him to cut the cord? Well, the bad news there is that he's probably not going to cut the cord. But I'll tell you this. A mama's boy is usually attracted to the same type of woman that his mom is.
So whether she likes it or not, she has more in common with his mom than she thinks she does. Because it's my belief that you are attracted to what you grew up around. Interesting. Okay, Lauren, like your take. Well, they're married. So they've got to work through that. So you're stuck. Yes. But I think she has every right to say that, you know, this is our family now. And, of course, your family is still going to be included in certain things that we do. But when it comes to matters of just our household, it needs to be between us. And if you're going to discuss it with anyone, even if it's your mother, you really should be talking to me first. Yeah, that's true. Hey, by the way, Mikey, I appreciated your advice that you received about take the most annoying thing that your spouse does and times it by 10. Yes. So what was the most annoying thing that your wife does? My wife has an issue with me leaving things lying around. Now, I actually told her this before we got married. I said, listen, babe, it's going to be 10 times worse when we get married.
And it is. It is ten times worse. It's carried over into the workplace. We're out of time, guys. We've got to go. We've got to wrap it up here. No problem. Listen, I have to get to a fat farm for superheroes. She was getting ready to say she's got to get to a fat farm for superheroes. Yes. No, you don't. Okay, tomorrow night, zombies will be lurching and walking and shuffling through the sidewalks of Old Town. I love it. I do look like that. I look like... I need some sort of fat rehab for... Oh, no. Stop it. I do. Oh, my goodness. I can't remember what his name was. What was Dom DeLuise in Cannonball Run? Captain something. I don't remember. I don't remember. Did he call you Dom DeLuise? No, dude. I said it. Oh, you did? When I first put it on, I go, babe, I look like Dom DeLuise from Cannonball Run, and I can't remember what his name was. Captain Adventure or something like that. I don't remember. Oh, no. Let's make some noise in here. We got a live studio audience. And when we come back, I want to talk to my friend Heather. She's going to tell you how you can get what I believe is like catering for the stars. And we're also going to be talking to Eric Turner from Warrant. He's going to do an acoustic song for us, right, Woods? Absolutely. It's coming up next. Hang on.

And I go, you're going on the radio.
Because she makes the most amazing looking cakes. She does cupcakes. You brought cupcakes with you today. I did. And the cool thing is that it's really, really... The cakes, you can do anything from artistic to real, real elegant. But they look like... She did a Tiffany box. Wow. And it looked like a Tiffany box, man. Like with the ribbon and the whole thing. And the benefit is called Help Ride. And it's called the Help Ride benefit. And if you want more information, go to helpride.com.
We're going to talk to Eric right now. Go ahead and open that door up. And what should we do? We could talk to him from there, right? We could. Are you guys there? Can you hear me? They're out in our main foyer area here at Studio M. And they're going to actually play Heaven. Maybe we should have him come in, though. Have Eric come in. And then we'll have him play after we talk to him a little bit. But I mean, there's so much to ask. I mean, this guy was the guitar player, founding member of Warren. Have a seat, man. Have a seat. I was, I was. Still am, baby. Still am. Good morning. How you doing? Good, good. You got a new album? Yes, we have a new album called Rockaholic because we're rockaholics. And this is coming out when? This came out actually May 17th. And we've been touring all summer long in support of the new CD we've done about. Oh, 47 shows so far this year since May. And we will be at Pechanga Casino and Resort on Friday, November 4th. And Skid Row will be there with us. So if you're listening, you're personally invited from Warrant. There you go. And drink 10,000 beers with us. There you go. Okay, now I have so many questions, but I want to start at the beginning. You're the founding member. Yeah, yeah. 1984, 19 years old.
Where were you from? Orange County. Yeah. I grew up in Fullerton and Placentia. Yeah, so you're... Behind the orange curtain, as I like to say. So you're growing up there, and who did you meet? How did this band come together? You know, I met a girl, and she was friends with the drummer from Warren. And so through that association, he and I hit it off, and they were getting ready to do their first gig. And they hadn't played a show yet. And they only had one guitar player. And Max asked me if I wanted to play the show with them, be in the band, all that stuff. So I had three rehearsals and we played our first show at the Troubadour opening for Yngwie Malmsteen. Wow. Yeah, on a Tuesday night. And I couldn't feel my hands. I was so nervous. How many people were there? You know, it's a troubadour. On a Tuesday night, I'm going to say maybe 150 people or 200. And all the guys were from Fairfax High School, so all their friends and family were there. We had a nice support team. The opening act was a band called Risk, and Jerry Dixon, the bass player in Warrant since 1984, he joined the band like three gigs later, two or three gigs later. That's when we met that night as well.
Okay, so Janie Lane is singing. Nope. He's not singing yet. No, Janie's not in the band yet. Janie's in a band called Playing Jane with Stephen Sweet. So we actually played a couple shows with them, Warren and Playing Jane, and that's where I'd first seen Janie perform. What happened is in 1986, a couple years later, we're playing a show here in San Diego. I forget we were playing Bacchanal or something like that. The singer, Adam Shore, and the drummer, Max, wanted to have a band meeting the next morning, and they unceremoniously quit. Really? Yeah, they just bailed after two years. So this was your singer. Yeah, so then Jerry and myself and our guitarist at the time, Josh, were driving back to L.A. from San Diego. I'm like, who can we get to sing in this band? We're already looking to replace them. It was never an option that we weren't going to continue on. First person we thought of was that guy from Plain Jane. He's really good. Now, neither of you knew him. You just heard him sing. Yeah, we'd seen him perform and heard him sing, and they were really, really good. So Jerry got a hold of Janie somehow. His band, Plain Jane, had just broken up. Him and Steve were getting ready to move back to Florida, and we caught him just in the nick of time. Wow.
And so you guys got together, you jammed, and Instant Chemistry? Yeah, yeah. The first song that we played together was Down Boys. Janie had this song he was working on, and he thought it would be good for Warrant. So he brought that song into rehearsal, and we worked on it. And by the end of that rehearsal, we had a couple songs worked up. But Down Boys was the first song we ever played together. And Stephen and Janie, they sing together like birds, the drummer. So we lucked out. I think it was like four weeks later after Adam and Max quit. We had already booked a show at the Troubadour and our first show with Janie and Steven. We just didn't skip a beat. I'm pretty sure we sold it out that night and just continued on until we finally got a record deal. Yeah, I was going to say. So the record deal comes along. 1988. What record company? Columbia Records. Columbia. Do you guys remember Columbia Records? I do. Are they still around? I don't have no idea. I think Napster buried them. I have no idea. So an A&R guy walks up to you guys and says, I wish it was that simple. We had done a bunch of demos. We did demos for Prince's label, Paisley Park. We did a bunch of demos for A&M Records. And we actually recorded a song for the soundtrack for Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. And Stevie Salas produced it.
And it was going to go on the soundtrack for A&M. We were unsigned at the time. A&M wasn't giving us a record deal. Ron Oberman at Columbia Records heard that song. Our manager played it for him. Flipped out and signed us on the spot. Really? Yeah. So they pulled the song called Game of War off the soundtrack. A&M's like, okay, well, you're not on our label. We're going to yank the song. We're like, that's cool. Can we use it on our record? You know, we're going to put it on Dirty, Rotten, Filthy, Stinking Rich. Right. And they said no. You can't have the song either. And so, you know, whatever. That's fine. And then a year later, they said we could have the song after Dirty Rotten came out. And they sold it back to us for a dollar. Nice. Welcome to the music business, kids. Yeah. Music business 101. Nutty. Yeah. So when do you guys hit big? 88? No. 88, we spend recording the record. It's done by July or June or July or something of 88. And we're just... The record label's like, we're not putting it out until February of 89. We're talking to Eric Turner, founding guitar player and current guitar player for the band Warrant. And so, sorry, so he says. Yeah, so we're like, well, put us out on the road or something. So we got a little tour support and we got the big, you know, great white taxi tour bus thing, we called it. We went out for a few weeks with a band called DeMalls. And then we went out for a few weeks with.
A band called Brittany Fox. Oh, yeah. I remember Brittany Fox. That was all before our record came out. And so it was nice to get out nationally and play little roller rinks and pinball arenas and nightclubs. It was a lot of fun. And getting our touring legs wet, so to speak. When's it hit? It hits February. It comes out of February 1989. And Damn Boys comes out and immediately just flies up the charts. And we got ourselves a gold record. Wow. And it happened real fast. Yeah. And so I don't know when Heaven came out, maybe a few months later. And then that went to number two on the Billboard charts for two weeks in a row. And all of a sudden we're at two and a half million records sold. Right. Wow. Gold records and platinum videos. platinum records from around the world and stuff so it was uh it was awesome we did 261 shows in support of uh of dirty rotten filthy stinking rich all over the world and um so when did it go when did it go from the old van you guys are driving around to to a bus to planes i'm sure and yeah we never got to the private jet level unless we were you know
freeloading a ride with somebody else, like Motley Crue or something. Right. We finished our tour. The last two and a half months of our tour, we finished opening up for Motley Crue on the Dr. Feel Good tour. So that was a great experience. Every night, 20,000 people sold out to be able to perform in front of. So it was a wild ride. I mean, when we got home, I felt like they should just put me in a body bag. Dead. How long did you tour? It was 16 months and 261 shows. Oh, my gosh. All over the world, you know, Australia and Japan and Europe and Canada and Puerto Rico. And, of course, we just hammered the United States over and over again. Cherry Pie comes out in 1990. Yeah. And... Wham, bam, thank you, ma'am. Yeah, that was... Real good. I mean, that's as big as it got. That's nice to get over the sophomore jinx, as they like to call it. Yeah, right. Now... Yeah, that song stuck with us. Ever since, like a bad tattoo. Stuck on you like a bad tattoo. Yeah, that was a song title that Janie had a long time ago. But no, we're very proud of that song. And I wish I had 10 other songs, 10 other cherry pies that were as popular. That would be awesome. But yeah, that's the song we're known for. And ironically, it's not our biggest hit. But it's resonated with people all over this great country. That comes out in 1990.
Between that time and 1994 is when Janie leaves the band. No, there's another record that we went and did. We went and did a record called Dog Eat Dog after the Cherry Pie Tour was over, which we did 200 shows in support of Cherry Pie. It was phenomenal. Then we went in and recorded Dog Eat Dog, and we changed producers. We changed our sound, got a little heavy, a little darker, and then Kurt Cobain decided to... to write never mind put that out and then that's when everything changed you know all of a sudden 80s bands hair bands whatever you want to call them were were blacklisted from the industry so to speak and everybody wanted the grunge thing so after that started to happen and um you know things weren't going as well that's when jamie left okay so jamie 93 93 okay so he leaves in 93 but you continue
We continued to look for a singer without him unsuccessfully for about six months. And then I get a call from him. He's in Florida and says he wants to come back to the band. We hadn't found a singer yet. And so we all kissed and made up. And he came back and we started writing and recording demos and stuff like that and started working on getting a new record deal and all that. Did you get another one? Oh, yeah. With BMG. So you get another record deal. And how long are you guys together? Were you together the whole time? Well, there was more casualties of rock and roll along that time. After Janie came back, then Joey decides to quit. So Joey bails. And then Stephen's Get Let's Go. So for the next ten years after that, it's Jerry and Janie and myself carrying on with different hired musicians coming out and touring and making records. We did Ultraphobic. In 95, I think. We did Belly to Belly in 96. We did a live album in 97. Those were all for CMC, BMG records. When was the last album you guys recorded? Gosh, about nine months ago. Okay. So you guys recorded? Yeah, we keep making records. Not very often. 2006, we did a CD called Born Again.
And was Janie in the band? Okay, Janie leaves again in 2000. 2004, things don't work out with Lane. There's lots of problems. He's not going to be able to continue with the band. And I took that opportunity to call Joey and Steven. They had been out of the band for 10 years. And so we got Joey and Steven back in the band. We got four out of five original guys. And we're moving forward with a singer from a band called Black and Blue, old friend of ours and a good guy. named Jamie St. James. And so he was in the band for three and a half years or so. And then... And that's the record we did with him, 2006. 2006. Okay, so when does Janie come back? Janie comes back at the end of 2007. We all settle our lawsuits, sign on the dotted line, decide to move forward as a rock and roll band again, start booking shows. And it went good for about two shows. And then it got ugly. Got ugly between all of you guys? No, he wasn't. No, the four of us get along pretty good. You know, the core of Warrant, you know, the backbone of Warrant. We get along pretty good most of the time. You know, we fight like brothers, love each other like brothers, you know. But, no, Lane wasn't showing up fit to play. That was the problem. We weren't fighting with him.
He was just gone. He would disappear for a week. No one would hear from him. We don't know where he is. He's in the hospital. He's in rehab. So he was trying to quit. He's out. He's in. He'd show up, no fit to play. So it was a bummer when you got 5,000 people there, 10,000 people there, and he just can't perform. Now, what do you do? But he tries, and it's a bummer. It's a train wreck. It's a train wreck. It's the only way to describe it. So it's just a shame when somebody that talented. you know, disintegrates before your eyes, basically. He died in August, and how did you find out who called you? We were on the road, and ironically, we were all eating dinner, because we never seemed to eat dinner, all of us at the same time. There's always one guy that wants to kick back at the hotel, or, I don't want Outback, I'm going to go get Taco Bell. You know, for some reason, we were all together, and Joey...
He gets a phone call. He gets many phone calls, no big deal, right? And then he just looks over at me. I look at him, and his face is just pale white. I knew something happened. And he's like, Janie died. And I'm like, no way. I'm like, no way. I don't believe it. And so I called his agent. And his agent was like, who told you that? And he called me back five minutes later and goes, sorry, dude, it's true. And I'm like, really? I can't believe it. And he's like, yeah, it's true. And then later that night. Janie's manager called me and left me a detailed message about what happened. Yeah, it's just shocking in one sense. Did he disappear? I mean, we know they found him in that hotel, but did he disappear and nobody knew where he was for a period of time? I hadn't spoken to him since the last show that he did with us. Man. So it had been a couple years. You know, we all buried the hatchet. Everything was cool. I didn't hate him anymore. I don't think he hated me anymore. It was just a shame it didn't work out. And so I had no idea how deep the hole had gotten that he dug for himself as far as, you know, with alcohol. Right. And I was out of loop. Nobody told me. I'm just, you know, doing my thing and figured he was doing okay. And, yeah, so I... You had no idea. No idea. But like I said, when you spend that much time with somebody that's an addict and...
and go through all the ups and downs with them and trying to help them get sober. When we did that tour, we hired a sober coach to come out on the road with us to try and help keep them sober. And that guy quit. We're out on the road, and he just bailed. I'm like, dude, this is a fire going on right now, and you're the fireman. You're supposed to put out the fire. And he's like, there's nothing anybody can do. And he just left. Wow. I had no idea. I was pretty pissed off, yeah. And you couldn't reach him about it, right? You couldn't reach him. You can't talk to somebody that's not. on this planet. Yeah. Mentally, you know what I mean? Yeah, I get it. It's really, really sad and it's a bummer, you know, and it's just... We're talking to the founding member of Warrant, guitar player, and they have a new album out called Rockaholic. Go buy it! iTunes, Amazon.com, shameless plug. There you go. Now, here's what we're going to do. Quick time out. When we come back, you guys are going to play. And you're going to sing, you guys are going to do Heaven? Yeah, I'm here with some friends of mine, old school, great band in the Temecula area. And they actually invited me to come down here with them today. And, of course, I jump at any opportunity to get on the radio and speak the gospel of Warrant. There you go. So then we just thought, you know, it might be fun to do a song. So we're going to...
We're going to do Heaven, and it'll be a little different version than Warren, but I think it's going to sound great. All right, cool. Well, we'll do that next. One in four prescriptions written by doctors are never filled by patients. Yes. My name's Lauren. It was CBS Caremark that did this survey. And they found out that, yeah, one in four don't have their prescriptions filled. And that's a higher rate than they've seen in previous studies that they've done on it. And a lot of the insurance plans, they've raised co-pays on meds. So that might be causing the increase because the co-pays are more. But anyway, usually the stuff that gets filled, prescriptions for sick kids always. And antibiotics. 90% of the time, the antibiotics are getting filled. Some people are going to be able to relate to it and some people aren't. But hopefully it helps one person. I grew up a very, very insecure person. I grew up with very low self-esteem. And I grew up with all the wrong heroes. I always felt different than everybody else. I always felt like an outsider. And my heroes were guys like Howard Stern. And that's all I aspired to. I always felt ugly. I always felt out of place. I never felt like I fit in. I was incredibly lonely. Can you relate to the feeling of being incredibly lonely? When I was in my mid-20s, I started drinking pretty heavy. And by the time I was 33, I was completely addicted to alcohol and a full-blown alcoholic.
My dad had stopped talking to me. My brothers were embarrassed of me. I had pretty much isolated myself from everyone. And one night I was laying in the dark and I was looking up at the ceiling. And I had tears just start pouring over the side of my face. I remember what it felt like to have my tears pooling inside my ears as I was looking up at the ceiling. And I invited Jesus Christ to come into my life and change my life. And he has been changing my life ever since. If you're going through any of that kind of addiction, if you're going through depression and eating disorder, go to MikeyShow.com. At the very top of the page, it says help. Click there. See you again on Monday morning.
