Wednesday November 17, 2010
Mikey shows up to work with a shiny smooth dome, his hair growing experiment the latest casualty of his whimsical endeavors. Body scanner or a groping pat-down, nobody flied for free. Even hero pilot Sully is not cool with the scanners. A debate erupts over scanning images being saved for creepy purposes and Woods tries to get past a Hong Kong security guard. Bedbugs and ballyhoo invade Lindberg and Sienna’s mom’s La Jolla home! LOB isn’t taking any chances with her food at home and Jay plays the Itch It song. WoS has news on Donavan McNabb nabbing a new lucrative contract and he Chargers’ attempts to dispel the moving to LA conspiracy. The “Sitch” and Bristol Palin do a PSA commercial for abstinence that would make a mime scream. Woodsy entertains offers of $300 and up to be the life of your party and the bidding begins! Will this become a reality at the Mikeython? Stay tuned. Tom Tom Tunes may be ‘hard to handle’ even with a ‘hook’ but at the last contestant’s melon isn’t blind. Goodfellas’ main man, the real Henry hill calls in for a Mikey dream interview. Henry talks about internet threats on his website and the movie’s 20th anniversary. You have to listen to this podcast if you’re even a casual fan of the movie as Henry tells about what it’s like to know when someone is going to whack you. Oksana audio revealing how Mel went about striking her in front of her child leads to her making an in-studio appearance. Captain Buzzkill calls in to defend Mel Gibson. CBK gets extremely weird during the call and makes Woods almost die laughing at his jokes. Jay is fuming mad at careless drivers speeding up and down his street while kids are at play and is prepared to set up cones and barriers. Jay tells how he confronted a group of speeding teens with a baseball bat in hand. Speed bumps are a beating and tempers flare as a female caller drops the F-word! Jay’s neighbor (“Superclown”) calls in after being called out over the air and the two hurl fightin’ words at each other while Mikey tries to mediate. Callers continue the debate and evoke Jay’s ire, especially M1 Delilah who says Jay’s kids should be put on leashes! John Tyner, the airport junk commando calls in to explain his ordeal and how he was just trying to be funny. John gives a play-by-play account of the incident which now has TSA on the defensive. A new song about the BFMC is played. Kazoo That Tune sees the emergence of Sienna’s heavy deep-toned kazoo talents. A Nirvana and Rick Astley mash-up song has the gang talk about their favorite type of altered songs. Hilary digs the kazoos.
Bumper Music

Airport security dominated the show as Mikey and the callers argued over whether body scanners and invasive pat-downs were a necessary safety tradeoff or an unacceptable violation of privacy. John Tyner then explained how his recorded 'touch my junk' confrontation with the TSA cost him a hunting trip and became a civil-liberties cause. Henry Hill revisited the violence behind Goodfellas, saying Ray Liotta captured him accurately and that he knew Jimmy Burke planned to kill him. Jay confronted neighbor Chris over speeding near children and road cones, while caller Delilah bizarrely defended doing makeup behind the wheel and proposed leashing kids. The crew also mocked Bristol Palin and The Situation's PSA, discussed Oksana Grigorieva's allegations against Mel Gibson, auctioned Woods as a party guest, and played a chaotic kazoo guessing game.
What happened, in order
Bedbug panic at Lindbergh
The crew reacted to bedbugs found at Lindbergh Field, and Lauren O'Brien described her family's costly infestation and the precautions travelers should take with luggage.
The painfully awkward PSA
Mikey, Woods, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay played and savaged Bristol Palin and The Situation's abstinence-and-safe-sex PSA as an excruciating piece of acting.
Rent Woods for a party
A joke about The Situation's $35,000 appearance fee turned into callers bidding to hire Woods and then an idea to auction the whole Mikey Show crew for charity.
The Aruba jawbone
The hosts discussed a jawbone found by tourists in Aruba and whether DNA testing might connect it to missing teenager Natalee Holloway and Joran van der Sloot.
Henry Hill remembers Goodfellas
Henry Hill said Goodfellas was about 95 percent accurate, praised Ray Liotta's portrayal, and recalled knowing that Jimmy Burke intended to have him killed.
Oksana's Mel Gibson account
The show aired Oksana Grigorieva's account of Mel Gibson allegedly striking her while she held their baby and her explanation that she recorded him because she feared for her life.
Jay's street-cone showdown
Jay complained that neighbor Chris sped past children despite warning cones, and their live confrontation ended with Chris agreeing to slow down and Jay agreeing to stop criticizing him on air.
Delilah versus cones and kids
Caller Delilah argued that road cones and children interfered with putting on makeup while driving and suggested leashes for kids, leaving the hosts stunned before they mocked her logic.
John Tyner tells his side
John Tyner explained why he recorded TSA officers, rejected both a body scan and an intimate pat-down, left the airport under threat of a fine, and publicized the episode to defend his civil liberties.
Curtis Stone's misunderstood word
The crew replayed chef Curtis Stone calling a complaining wife a 'nagger' on Today and laughed at how easily the word could be misheard on live television.
Kazoo That Tune
The hosts played Metallica, Taylor Swift, Nirvana, Britney Spears, and Rick Astley songs on kazoos while callers tried, with mixed success, to identify them.

194.9 is the number for M1 Nation. If you are an M1, you belong to an exclusive club. M1 Nation are Mikey Show listeners. If you listen to the Mikey Show, when you call into the program, you turn your radio down, get to the point you don't cuss. That's what makes you an M1. That's what makes you part of M1 Nation. You listen exclusively to the Mikey Show. You make new M1s. You're constantly telling people about The Mikey Show and about this growing phenomenon. Give us a call right now. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 40 years of age and clean shaven on my dome. Good to have you back. I would have liked to have seen it. Yeah, me too. I've been called a quitter on Facebook. By me. Twitter. By me.
How dare you? How dare you? I said. How dare you? I didn't say Mikey is a quitter. I said, do we ever quit stuff? Lumping myself into that category. P90X. Yes. I have no problem. There's a couple things. Cigarettes. Yeah. You know. There's a bunch. There's a few. I don't have a lot of stick. Stictuitiveness, as my dad would call it. Yeah, you've got to have stick-tuitiveness. Do I? I'm 35, do whatever I want. I know, but we put other people on the hook when I say to the whole audience, when I say, listen, I'm going to grow my hair out and then I don't do it. Here's the thing. I saw the writing on the wall, and I put that on there this morning. I saw the writing on the wall, the writing said, yuck. That's disgusting. I'm glad to have you back, and it means I'm not shaving mine. I'll buzz it. If you want me to buzz it, I'll buzz it. I just don't want to shave it bald. It's Christmas. I got pictures. I'm going to go home with the family, the whole thing. I'll buzz my hair if that makes you happy. That won't. No. Okay, then we'll do it again. You don't have to. Okay. You don't have to. I love him. Yay, yay, yay. I know. I was going to do it with you. You can still do it if you like. Zanna, you can do it. Oh, yeah. Sure. Woodsy's our sports guy. He's 35. Yes. Yes. And...
Lauren O'Brien, otherwise known as LOB, which they even call her that now at her eye doctor place. They do? Yeah. They're M1s. That's awesome. It's an M1, man. Went to the eye doctor for this new eye doctor for the first time last week. Yeah. And then I came in for a little checkup yesterday, and they were like, LOB. No way. How about that? Couple listeners in there. There you go. Sienna is our news girl. She is a very lovely gal, and she's a new mom. She's a great mom. Thank you. First time I ever met her, I knew she was going to be a great mom because she's kind of a mom to me. Yes. And all of us, really. And all of us, really. And it kind of keeps us going. I have a lot of babies. Yeah. Jay is our producer. And Jay is 47. And our phone screener is Chris. It's ground! There you go. I'm always excited for Wednesday. Me too. He's back and we get to do it. You guys do it? No. Oh, I don't. Gosh. Sienna. He's joking. He said no right now. The word of the day is Frisbee, by the way. Nice. All right. So when you hear the word Frisbee between now and 10 a.m., you are going to qualify for that big drawing that we're having on Friday. This is worth $500 alone. So everybody that wins word of the day this week.
is going to qualify for the drawing on Friday for a two-night stay at Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin. $50 gift card. Really cool place on the Colorado River, and they've got great food there, great restaurants, world-class entertainment. And also, you're going to get to go to something called Rage at the River Off-Road Racing Event, and that's going to be cool. Laughlin, it's like you own the place. Really cool. And then, by the way, everybody that wins the word of the day will get a brand new Mikey Show t-shirt. We got some new Mikey Show t-shirts, and you get a pair of sunglasses from Anarchy Sunglasses. Now, yesterday the word of the day came during a commercial break, and so really the word of the day can happen at any time between now and 10. I will somehow use the word frisbee in a sentence. I'll weave it into the sentence. You have to be really listening, kind of really listening. to make sure that you get that. So many things that we have to talk about. Phone lines are blowing up already with people calling in, want to talk about different stuff. You can call about anything you want right now. Here's some of the topics we're going to be talking about. Bed bugs at Lindbergh Field. Massive body scan stories and the whole body scan deal. And then a jawbone found in Aruba. Is it Natalie Holloway's? All of that.
is on the way on the Mikey Show. M1 Pro Scanner from San Diego. What's up? Mikey, how you doing? Good, man. Yeah, I'm just calling. I've really been following this story, and I was listening to you guys yesterday. Which story? Well, the story about this John Tyner guy going through there and everything, and then how you don't want to go through the scanner. Hey, by the way, John Tyner is going to be on the Mikey Show this morning at 8.30. Nice. Yeah. Nice. John Tyner. John Tyner is going to be on the Mikey Show this morning at 8.30. Also, just want to say, if you're a fan of the movie Goodfellas, the real Henry Hill will be on the Mikey Show this morning at 7.30. Yeah! It's a big day. Great show today. I'm liking it, yeah. John Tyner, I want to hear what this guy has to say because I don't think he has a leg to stand on. What do you mean? The choice is you go through the scanner or you get patted down. You don't have a choice. If you can't do either one of those, then you don't fly. That's all there is to it. So take a bus, take a train, something else. The thing is, our country has changed since 9-11. We have to do these things. If a guy is trying to sneak explosives in his underwear, you have to get your crotch patted down. That's all there is to it. A guy in Detroit tried to sneak in explosives in his underwear. Detroit!
I knew that, yeah. Here's the deal. Now, I agree with you. I mean, I fundamentally agree with you. Now, what John Tyner, the guy that refused, and did he really refuse? Let's listen to the audio because he captured all of this as, if you don't know the story, happened at Lindbergh Field. He was going to be flying out of Lindbergh Field. They wanted him to go through these new body scanners. Now, these new body scanners, you can see your body. Every little detail. Every detail, man. Nipples. Nipple. No. More than nipples. Well, that's just an example of how well you can see. You can see junk. Jay and I work at TSA on the weekends, by the way. The two of us. You can see. Moonlight. I'll sell you some images. Absolutely. You can see. Well, wait, wait, wait. I just want, for people that haven't heard it, M1 Pro Scanner, you know, he didn't want to go through this scanner. And so what they do if you don't want to go through it is they take you to the side and they pat you down. Now, he doesn't necessarily refuse to do it. It's just that he makes a wisecrack to the TSA guy that the TSA guy didn't like. I'm going to be doing a standard pat down on you today, using my hands going like this. All right. Also, we're going to be doing a groin check. That means I'm going to place my hand on your hip, the other hand on your inner thigh, slowly go up and slide down. Okay.
Two times in the front and two times in the back. All right. And if you'd like a private screening, we can make that available for you also. We can do that out here, but if you touch my junk, I'm going to have you arrested. Okay. Actually, we're going to have a supervisor here because of your statement. Okay. Supervisor! All right, now, what's important to keep in mind is John Tyner makes his comment and he kind of chuckles. So he's clearly joking around. Now, one thing that I know is can't joke at TSA. They don't like it. They don't go for it. And so he's not saying you cannot pat me down. He's making a joke and he's saying if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested. And so I just think that's important to point out. I understand that. That's true. And that is important to point out. And you can't be pulling jokes and pranks around there because those guys are all serious about it.
Which they should be. Yeah. They should be. Yeah, absolutely. Basically, our freedom is no longer free in this country. It is not free. We have to pay the price, and that's the price we have to pay. I agree. Now, all these other people, they've been interviewing on the news. Now, they have a bunch of pros, and they have a bunch of cons, and the people are like, oh, this is America. We shouldn't have to be going through that. We have to go through that if you want to continue. Hey, dude, Pro Scanner, I love you, dude. Thank you for the call, and I appreciate it, bro. All right. 570-1949 is our number if you want to give us a call and weigh in on this whole thing with the, you know, if you touch my junk. That's right. Brilliant. That's My Junk by Junk Jovi. We hope you enjoyed that this morning. Bon junk. Bon junkie. Bon junkie. So, as you can imagine, this has become a part of pop culture and what happens when pop culture takes off.
is they want to seize the moment, right, Sienna? Oh, yes, they do, by selling T-shirts. Oh, boy. What did T-shirts say? Would you guys like to have a shirt that says, if you touch my junk, I'm going to have you arrested? Yes. Well, they're now available. Yeah. This company, Cafe Press, they also have the grab two beers and jump shirt from Stephen Slater. While they're selling these t-shirts, if you touch my junk, I'm going to have you arrested for $35 online. They come in colors ranging from black, olive to galaxy blue or kelly green, guys. Oh, wow. $35? El Cheapo. No way, I can make my own. Yeah, for sure. I got a silk screen machine. No problem. Jay's like... Do you know that Irish spring costs $1.50 a bar? I'll make my own. I'll make my own. I got kids to feed. He's like, we got bacon fat. I've got lye at my house. I have lye and bacon fat. Kim's got some perfume. I'll make my own soap. We have soap.
Well, so anyway, there it is. They got these, if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested T-shirts. And then what's up with the TSA chief testifying before Congress this morning? Now, I mean, there's just a lot of, obviously, controversy with the scanner. So he's going forward because critics are saying the searches are invasive. He needs to talk about what the good of the body scans are, why the pat-downs are, you know, they need to be so up in your junk, just to be sure. So we're going to find out how that goes tomorrow. But even other pilots like Sully, you know, the guy who landed on the Hudson River, he's come forward saying, you know, these full-body screeners and the pat-downs are really, he's not all about those either. Oh, really? Yeah, pilots are not happy with them. They have to go in. They got to go to it. Yeah, all the time. A couple times a day. Yeah. M1 Chris from San Diego. What's up? How's it going, guys? Good. It's gross. Man, you guys hear about that little girl that got frisked, the three-year-old girl? Oh, yeah. I have that right now. Yeah, Sienna, what's up with that? Well, her name is Mandy Simon, and she was passing through the airport with her dad in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
And she started crying. They took her teddy bear to put through the x-rays. And so obviously she's a three-year-old. She started screaming. She wanted her teddy bear. Then she wouldn't go through the scanner. No, she set off the scanner because she was crying and it was this whole scene. And so, you know, rule is if there's a problem with the scanner, they need to be patted down. An official had to pat down this three-year-old little girl screaming. I mean, it's a whole scene. And I guess her dad got audio or video of it from his cell phone. I know. And so this is just a huge story right now. But it brings up a good question, you know. Is that appropriate to be patting down a three-year-old little girl or a child at all? What if a terrorist used a kid? 100%. And they would. They could. They would. How many times have drugs, you know, across the border been hidden in diapers and stuff like that? Yeah. I mean, it's unfortunate. It's just the world we live in. Yeah, it's sick. But pretty crazy story on one, Chris. Yeah. It's kind of a sign of where we are right now. That's just the world. Do you think it's ridiculous? I think everybody likes to complain about what's going on at the airport. Nobody has any solutions, but everybody wants to be on a soapbox about how wrong it is. Chris, do you have kids, Chris? I do not, but if I did, that would not be acceptable with me. You wouldn't allow it? No.
kicking and screaming like she was, you know, she wasn't liking it at all. Yeah. No, I get it. Hey, thanks for the call. I got a four-year-old. You know, I don't know. I mean, I'm a rule follower. You know, I just, I don't want anybody hurting my kid. I don't think that's really the deal. I don't think that's the point, but I think it's, you know, prudent. You'd be okay with it? Yeah, I mean, it's safety, you know? I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, like, if I didn't, like, if I didn't, or we didn't, and then, you know, 350 Americans die aboard a jumbo jet because we didn't want to do this and blah, blah, blah. And it turns out that's why. Then everybody's going, I can't believe that da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. You know? Yeah. So, I don't know. It's just a matter of what's prudent. M1 Travis from San Diego. Do it. Good. Flying this weekend out with my buddy and I had a few cocktails before we got to the airport. Uh-huh. We got there early.
Oh, my gosh. Oh, boy. And she's like, excuse me? And I'm like, yeah, well, I'd really like that job on weekends. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. Yeah, I mean, after that, my bags got clearly gone through, and there were some other things in there, and they're just looking at me like, why do you have this? What's the matter with you people? I was joking. It was just a joke. Don't you know a joke when you hear one? But I'm glad that they were taking their job seriously, you know? Well, I'll tell you what, there's open mic night.
at the comedy store. Yeah, have a ball. Yeah. That's the time. The airport's not the place for jokes. Yeah, they freak out, man. They freak out, Travis. I think she liked me when I was talking. He got her number. He likes a woman in uniform. There you go. Maybe she liked what she saw. Hey, listen. If anybody's, you know, worried about it, it's happened now, by the way. It's now happened. What did we say from the very beginning? We're like, what if these things get out there? What if these pictures of our nakedness get out there? Well, guess what? It's happened. Yeah. U.S. Marshals in Florida, federal courthouse. saved 35,000 images on their scanners. Basically, there's a Gizmodo investigation. They revealed 100 photographs saved by, now I'm just going to give you the name, I'm going to tell you, the Gen 2 millimeter wave scanner from Bridget Imaging Systems. Best scanner. It's the best one out there. I'm just showing you where it came from. Available on Amazon. And it revealed that the U.S. Marshals operating the machine in Orlando, Florida, had improperly, perhaps,
illegally. saved images of scans from people walking through them. So you can see... What a shock. You know, so there are people's images. And now this is from last year, so the images are kind of distorted. They're not as clear as they are now. Yeah, now they can save some real good ones. So that's the good news is you can't see, you know... Don't, Woods, because it's true and you know it. Don't they know that there's naked pictures on the internet? My God, you really want to look at x-rays? There is a plethora of nudity. Go have a ball. I know, but the nudity on the internet is... Those people did it by choice in most cases. But these people are like innocent families going on vacation and there's pictures coming up. And some people could get off on that. The fact that they didn't submit to it. It would. You think that if you're working at the airport and you see some dime walk in, you're not going to be like, I think we need to do a little body scan here and make sure everything's on the up and up. No, I don't. No, why would you? I'd rather have a pat down. Yeah, I'd rather do the pat down. Come on. No, no, I'm saying you're the TSA guy.
And I'm like, get her through the scanner? You're like, yeah, scanner for her. She's got to be scanned. This may sound weird, but Woods, you've said many times yourself and Jay that you guys are more turned on by a girl in lingerie than when she's naked because it leaves more to the imagination. Maybe there's people out there that think that way about this. They can go online and see a naked girl, but why not see this weird distorted version? Why not go to war with an x-ray? That's what I say. Yeah, you think people don't? It's ridiculous. No way. What's the solution then? Get rid of the scanners. The solution is that I thought from the very beginning that those scanners were the creepiest thing in the world. The solution is called a pat-down. Everybody? Do you know how long that's going to take? Well, listen, man. Look how long it takes now. Yeah, well, we've been doing it since 9-11. Not everyone calls it a body scanner either. Yeah, not everybody does. So you randomly pat down. That's not going to open up a can of worms, is it? Well, Woods, since 9-11, we've been a safe nation, and we've been doing it without body scares. Safe-ish. Well, we haven't had any, you know, terrorists. No, we haven't had a terrorist attack, but there have been a lot of breaches. Yeah, there has been breaches. There has been breaches, but we've caught them. They're talking about the day where they want everyone to request a pat-down. It's going to slow everything down to a standstill. M1 John from Marietta, are you there? Yep.
I'm here. Hey, John, tell everybody what an M1 is. What do you mean? Yeah, what is an M1? I have no idea because the other station says it, too. I just started listening to you guys about a month ago. Did you just move here? I moved to Marietta, but I've listened to you sporadically, but my cousin listens to you faithfully. Right on. Here's the deal. I used to work over at Rock 105, and when I was there... We called our listeners P1s, which I was going to do when I came over here. And, you know, I did. And the first day I did, the company over there sent this legal piece of paper that said, you know, we'll sue you till you're black and blue. Yeah, yeah. So I had to change it. And I actually like M1. I like it better. I really like it. But an M1, just so you know, an M1 is somebody that turns their radio down, gets to the point, and doesn't cuss when they call in. And they make new M1s. Okay. Much like your cousin did to you. Yeah. To a good M1. What were you calling to say? You know, everyone was freaked out about going through the airports, right? Uh-huh. So I had a trip planned a year prior to go to the Philippines, which we had to fly through Hong Kong and all that. Yeah. Well, we flew through Hong Kong, and, you know, my son had a little ball. Son had a little what? A ball. A ball.
And, you know, these guys had machine guns and stuff, and basically they just put a big old knife through the ball. Wow. Why? It was so violent. My son started crying and everything. Of course. Why did they do that? Well, to check for drugs or any, I don't know, C4, I don't know. Right. Wow. It was just me and my little family, right? Yeah. But I was like, you know what, guys? You guys need to listen to what they say. Yeah. May I ask you a question? Yes, sir. Is that your ball? It's my son's ball. He's four. He's four years old? Yeah, he's four. Well, he's four, as you can see. He's not 18 or 20. He's four years old. He is the same size as me. Yes, he is the same size as you. So I am a foregrown adult. True, true. So my question for you is, do you take me for an idiot? No, what did I do to lead you to think that I thought you were an idiot? You brought a bar. My son's four. He likes balls. Yeah. That disgusts me. But again, do you take me for it? I know that that bar...
It's packed with heroin. There's no heroin in here. It's packed to the brim. No, it is not. And when you get back to Cleveland or Rubik or wherever you live. Rubik. Okay, wherever you live. I live in San Diego, California. Oh, really? You do? Yeah. Can I see your ticket? Yeah, there's my passport and my ticket. Okay, you were telling the truth. I'm at the airport and I don't mess around at the airport. I do as I'm told at the airport. Really? Yes, Riri. What can I do for you? Are you... Uh-oh. Are you a mock-in' me? No, I no mock you. Then why did I do to hear a gong-a song? That is not me. This is ringtone. We are in Hong Kong, by the way. Aren't there gongs everywhere? Must be break time for you. Must be time for you to go on lockdown. Quitting time. Hey, thanks for the call. We appreciate the phone call there, M1 John. That's terrible. But, you know, like he said, he told his little kid, I know daddy's really sorry, but they got to do what they got to do. Especially when you're in another country. And it was right after 9-11. There were dudes with machine guns standing there. And you walked through security, like, very carefully. Yes, sir. No, sir. For sure. By the way, we made the announcement two days ago.
Mikey-thon 2010. Mikey-thon 2010 is happening December 16th and 17th. And we've already heard from NBC 739 who will be here that morning to cover it live. This is going to be a big deal. Raising money for Rady Children's Hospital and their Autism Discovery Institute on our part. Stop it. No. LB scratching over there. Stop it right now. Bedbug's at. Probably the TSA's fault. We'll tell you all about it. Don't forget Henry Hill. Yeah! Henry Hill from the movie Goodfellas. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster. The real Henry Hill is going to be on this program this morning at 7.30. And the guy that caused all of this hubbub, John Tyner. John Tyner from Oceanside, the guy that was stopped at the airport that you heard on that clip that's made global news.
We'll be on the Mikey Show this morning at 8.30. Yesterday, Woods, he announced that Donovan McNabb got a five-year, $78 million contract with $40 million guaranteed. But, turns out, it may all be a big scam on the part of his agent. You want to know how? I'll tell you. Everyday Woods finds a way to get Taylor Swift's song, Beer John, on here. And I ain't mad at it. You guys will enjoy it until the end of the year. And I'll find a new... Little crush. Fine with me. Maybe Kesha or something. I don't know. By the way, speaking of Woods, yesterday he announced the whole deal with Donovan McNabb, right? Getting this huge contract. We're talking about a five-year, $78 million contract. Turns out that may have all just been a joke. But I'll explain. Woods will explain in Woods on Sports. Henry Hill will be on the program this morning at 7.30.
Henry Hill is the focus of the movie Goodfellas. Unbelievable. Yeah. Maybe one of the greatest guy movies of all time. I agree with you, except for the maybe part. Yeah. It is, in my opinion, humble opinion, it is numero uno. It was my favorite movie for years and years and years. And even now, I think I'll put it. equal with. My favorite movie is Goodfellas slash Apocalypse Now. You, love you, some Apocalypse Now. All the killing in that movie. It's just when Joe Pesci goes in and he's just stabbing that guy in the trunk. It's scary. It is so scary. Yeah, it is. It is. But, you know, what I like about it is the acting, the music. the directing, the story. Everything about it is so well done. The music. I like the little nuances that they got so right in that movie. And then John Tyner, the guy that's the focus of all this stuff with the TSA, the guy that said, you know, if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested. He's going to be on the show this morning at 8.30. The word of the day is Frisbee. And by the way, today...
That word is good for a brand new Mikey Show t-shirt and a pair of sunglasses from Anarchy, and it qualifies you to go on that nice trip for a two-night stay to Laughlin. So get ready for that. That's coming up in a bit. Talked to Jared yesterday, our guy that does MikeyShow.com, and man, that guy is doing some amazing work right now. If you want to see what he does, go to CreateYourDesignOnline.com. The most amazing work you can ever, I mean, if you want a website, business cards, that stuff, you got to check Jared out. He's absolutely the best. Bed bugs have turned up at Lindbergh Field. Isn't that fun? Yeah. Now, okay. Bed bugs. Gross. So, you know, bedbugs love carpets, seat cushions, dark places to hide. And they have been found at Lindbergh Fields. Now they come on planes. They go in people's luggage. They go in people's clothes. So there's really no escaping bedbugs. And they were found at Lindbergh. So we know if you're going to that airport, be extra careful. People like to take naps on the ground. Maybe don't do that because they're in the carpets. I do that at airports. I always do that. I lay my backpack down and I lay my head on my back.
backpack and I lay there. Oh boy, never mind. We had bedbugs a couple years ago, and it's the worst, but I'm going to share what you're supposed to do when you're traveling. Just to be safe, never bring your luggage in your house. You had them soon? Yeah, we had them. Your parents did, right? My parents, yeah. And they rid themselves of them? They were golden bedbugs, but they were bedbugs just the same. No, my mom had bites all up and down her legs and arms, and she didn't know what they were. I mean, bites so bad that she has scars. Yeah, really bad. And then our housekeeper, my parents' housekeeper, said, You know, you have little tiny bugs. And my mom looked and they figured out it was bed bugs. We had an exterminator at our house. We had to tent the whole house. I mean, insurance doesn't cover bed bugs. I mean, it's bad and expensive to deal with. To tent the house. Yeah, my mom had to rip out the carpet in their bedroom. Now they have hardwood floors. She had to get a new mattress, new bed. Oh, my God. Oh, yeah. Are you kidding? Dollar signs. Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait. Stop, stop. I got to stop you there. Okay. I'm so confused. Yeah, it's so bad. Well, what confuses me is.
You would think that if you go through the expense of tenting the house, you're going to kill the bed bugs. Yeah. So why do you also have to like get rid of the mattress, get rid of the eggs? What's the point then of the tenting? You know, part of it is my mom is just she was so creeped out when she found out and when she saw them and she saw the scars and the bites. And she's like, everything goes because they were in the curtains in her room. Those went. She bought all new stuff because she's just like. I can't take any chances. And my dad didn't have any bites. Bugs just, you know, some people get the bites worse than others. And so we had our house tented for days. And not just the tenting. You had to get rid of all the food, open food. You had to bag up, you know, whatever. Anything in cans could stay. Every single item of clothing in our house, I mean, both my sisters, my brother, my parents, everyone, all had to go in the dryer or to the dry cleaner. And in the dryer for at least 10 minutes, I think it was. Yeah. So what they say to do, and my mom got it from a plane. She went to, I don't remember where they went for a volleyball tournament and came back and they were in the luggage. We went to Milan. You know that. We went shopping. Right. No, they went to some awful town. But what they say to do is when you get home from a trip to, luggage never goes in your house. Really? From now on it stays in the garage or, you know, not in the house. Ours does.
Does it? Yeah, ours is in the garage. God, that goes right to my bedroom. But when you're coming back from your trip, it goes right to the bedroom, right? Yeah, mine does. And then you put it back in the garage. No, not anymore. From now on, no matter what. Luggage stays in the garage. You take all the clothes and put it straight in the dryer. Every item of clothing. She's saying when you get off the plane and you guys pull up to your house, you pop the trunk, luggage straight to the garage, you take the clothes in from there, which I never do. And put them directly into a dryer. Even if they're dirty, put them in the dryer first so dirty clothes aren't lying around your house. And the clothes that you're wearing on the airplane, take them off, put them in the dryer because the dryer kills it. Maybe we bring back DDT real good. Isn't that disgusting? No. Yes. And now it's gotten so bad, like, no matter what, just do it. Just do it and put it in the dryer. Man, I'm all the way in. AJ, do we have, can you give me the Itch It song or the whatever? The Scratch? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the Scratchy song. Well, it's about Lauren, because out of all of us, I think that Lauren is the most skeeved out. Yes. Yes. About, you know, stuff that can.
Itch. Everything is in my fridge now, by the way, except for canned goods. You keep your chips in there? Yeah. Cheese puffs. Pasta. Do you really? Yeah. You just throw everything in there? I love it. Quinoa. What is quinoa? Quinoa? What is quinoa? They're like noodles, right? Or rice? It's a grain. It's like rice. Little round rice. My bucket of quinoa. My goji berries. Cookies. I bought some of those, but pasta quinoa. Yeah. It's healthy. You got it? You got it? Yeah. Want to play it? Yeah. Of mice? Really? Oh, no. That's the Halloween scare bit. Take two. I don't know why this is so hard in here. That's... It's good. It's real good. M1 Nestle from San Diego? Yes. Go ahead. You're on the air. Like, describe what they look like. Are they visible to the naked eye? Yes, they are. They're very small. Yeah, they are very small. I just showed a picture. But they resemble...
They resemble a flea. However, you know how ticks are round? Yeah. Okay. Imagine if a tick and a flea had babies. And they got most of their resemblance from the flea, but they had the body shape of a tick. That's what they look like. Tiny and round. Very tiny and round. So many things wrong with what you're saying. Oh, yeah. They're gross. There's no doubt. But you can see them. I mean, you can absolutely see them if you look. closely and they like to nuzzle right in your mattress. I love nuzzlers. You can buy these covers actually that can go over your mattress and you like seal your mattress shut so that way if you do get bed bugs you don't have to buy a new mattress. So if you can go buy one of these covers. Look at our world. It's now a world of like Mattress zippers. In a world. In a world where you've got to put mattresses in zipper bags. New from Ziploc. Bed bugs. How long do you think it'll be until they have a movie about bed bugs, by the way? They're probably working on it right now. Yeah, it's going to be a movie that does to bed bugs what sharks happen with Jaws. We talked about it a couple of weeks ago. There was an article in GQ about...
how bed bugs is the new std and that's the new bit of you meet a girl at a bar and you're talking no longer is it hey are you clean do you have gonorrhea or anything it's you don't have bed bugs at your house do you because i'll come over if you don't So filthy. There's really no escaping them. You can take all the precautions. We're going to all get them. No. Yeah, we're going to get them. You know, someone's going to bring them into work, and you're going to sit in the same chair, and the bed bug's in. It's just a nightmare. Yeah, we're going to all have them, by the way. Well, when you think about it, man, we work with a lot of people. Everybody does. You know, you work with people. Unless you're in a delivery position, and then I think you're probably in a pretty good shape. Construction, you're probably in good shape. But if you work in an office building, you know. I would start saving up. Put some money aside if you can because bed bugs. I'm going to start investing in exterminating companies is what I'm going to do. That's crazy. I'm going to be furious if my savings has to go to bed bug extermination. Oh, that would be the worst. Well, if you rent, then the landlord will pay to have the building tent. Oh, sweet. But a lot of landlords won't.
Because maybe that unit has bedbugs, but the other one doesn't. So they don't want to pay for it. You know, at first when we started talking about it, I thought, well, this is just another example of fear. OK. And there's a lot of things that are out there that we simply fear. But there isn't really there's not in the way of numbers. There's not much to support it. For instance, I thought, OK, is this is this a swine flu deal? And when we first heard about swine flu, we were all. Deathly afraid of it. And a few people got it, but by and large, most San Diegans did not get the swine flu. And now we're all afraid of bedbugs. And whooping cough. And whooping cough. That's a big deal right now. You know, our son Jake is sick. Went home yesterday, and I walked into the house, and Rebecca said, oh, I forgot to tell you, but Jake is sick. I said, what's going on? She said he threw up in the bed, and, you know, he's running a fever. And immediately she said that. And the worst fears come to mind. The worst. I'm like, what if it's whooping cough? You know, what if it's what if it's AIDS? What if it's the plague? What if it's, you know, I'm like every, you know, dengue fever in Florida. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. You know, and I'm like, yeah, there's just there's so much fear. You know, I'm going to Haiti. There's cholera. And there's, you know.
We're staying with a guy that had dengue fever. Rad. Rad. Smart. I'm going to be wearing a hazmat suit in here for a week. Listen, you know, I mean, a lot of it is just plain fear, I think. But it's unnecessary fear. You are like a Rubik's Cube to me. Why? There's so much stuff that you're afraid of, but some of these massive big things, you're like, it's just cholera. It's not going to get you. Like what? Give me an example of the one I'm afraid of. Horror movies. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't like a scary thing in a horror movie. Yeah, because it'll stick in my head. What about cholera stick in your lungs? You're more scared of one of your children getting sick and then the germs are in the house than you are of going to live with someone who's had dengue fever. In Haiti, yes. In Haiti. Well, a lot of it. Cock-eye in the street. Yeah. That's true. But I think that a lot of it is that we got to know we have to know. And I've educated myself with a lot of this stuff. For instance, dengue fever. How do you fight it? Well, you fight it with antibiotics. I'm going to be on Cipro before I ever even go. Yeah.
It's true. So, you know, a lot of it. You're an enigma wrapped in a riddle, my friend. Maybe. Just a little bit. Just a little. I'll tell you, man, it sucks when you... Oh, and by the way, this wonderful lady, Melissa McGee, she's got... Lullababes.com. She makes blankets. She made us these adult blankets that are nine feet long. Adult blankets sounds a little weird. It sounds a little weird. They're ribbed for your pleasure. They're ribbed. They've got spermicide on them. Adult blankets. No. She makes baby blankets, but she also makes... baby blankets that are adult size. And Jake was sick yesterday and he and I laid under this blanket that she made and it was heaven. I have mine on my lap right now because it's two degrees in here. Sounds like we all did that yesterday. Jasper and I built a tent out of mine. We were underneath the tent. Me, the dogs usually flock to Jamie. I woke up from my nap. I had Penny, Lucky, and
Sunny, on my lap, on the blanket. On the new blanket. They loved it. I did my news yesterday with the blanket. Yep. They're the greatest. It's my new whoobie. You know? I'm going to be carrying it around. It's my whoobie. Are you talking about M1 whoobie? No, not M1 whoobie. Oh, okay. Woods on Sports is brought to you by our friends at Clearview Eye and Laser Medical Center. Well, here's the story that Mike mentioned before the break. The Donovan McNabb contract situation. Now, as we reported yesterday, Donovan McNabb, before the game on Monday night, signed his extension, which was five years, $78 million, $40 million of which is guaranteed. That's what his agent came out and said, his agent's Fletcher Smith. Not so much. Basically what it is is they have an out clause, they meaning the Washington Redskins. They can cut him at the end of the year. It's kind of like a contract, but kind of not. It's the clause that can say, you know, Donovan, you're really not the guy.
At the end of the year. At the end of the year. They can cut him at the end of the year. They owe him $3.5 million. Okay, so if they do that, they don't have to pay him the guaranteed $40? Correct. They just have to pay him $3? $3.5. Why wouldn't they cut him? Well, I know. But why would you give him an extension and then cut him? I'm so confused about what's going on in Washington. Probably because it sounds big. Sounds good? It sounds good. Well, the clause basically gives him seven games to decide if... for the organization to decide if, hey, this is our guy going forward. Now, like we talked about, he's 34 years old, having the worst year of his career since he was a rookie. And it's just, yeah, I think it's a lot of pomp and circumstance right now, you know, a lot of hot air. But McNabb also responded yesterday to Cincinnati reliever Terrell Owens. Terrell Owens took to Twitter, as he usually does, and said, How do you justify a $78 million contract with this type of performance? He did not have a good game. Donovan responded with, well, it's funny. He's worried about what I'm doing. What are they, 2-6? No, Donovan, they're 2-7. So there you go. And the Los Angeles Lakers last night won 118-107 over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Lakers started really hot this year. They were 8-0. They lost two in a row. And they rebounded last night with the help of Shannon Brown. And Shannon Brown is a guy that says,
I'm gunning for that six-man award. I want the six-man. He's the guy that comes off the bench. Guy had a huge night last night. Scored 16 of his 21 in the fourth. Kobe scored 31. Lakers beat the Bucs. Here is Coach Phil Jackson on Shannon Brown. Cut one. He had a great contribution. He was terrific. I mean, everybody told Shannon he had one another year to jump shot when he came out in the NBA. And, you know, he's taking that seriously and worked hard on it. And he's now. You're a legitimate. They've never said about me that I have a good jump shot. Fair enough. It's just never been said. Fair enough. And also, the Chargers minority stake is for sale. We talked about that yesterday. The attorney, Mark Fabiani, he's led the Chargers push for the new stadium since about 2002. Came out and said that the percentage will be sold by 87-year-old Alex Spanos. He's got dementia, which I did not know. He's got dementia. They're getting rid of it. They're saying that it's for, quote, estate planning at this point. But his son, Dean, is still the president of the Chargers. And, you know, as you guys know, the Chargers are the only NFL team in Southern California. They're talking about possibly moving the Chargers to L.A. Who knows, man? This is going to be a real interesting thing that plays out over the next few years. Got to get that new stadium built. And that's what they're really gunning for right now. So Fabiani, what's his deal? Well, he's basically saying that it's not what everybody thinks. It's for estate planning.
The perfect storm, as we talked about yesterday. And that makes sense. It does make sense. It absolutely does. The guy's 87 years old. He has dementia. He wants to get things in order. Absolutely. It's just the timing. The timing is really, really weird. The Chargers returned to practice, and tight end Antonio Gates, he had a foot injury. He has plantar fasciitis. Ryan Matthews has an ankle, and Legado Nane has a hamstring. They did not practice. All those guys sat out there getting that extra rest that the bye gave him. Gates did say he's doing better. He's glad for the extra day of rest. And also the Chargers signed Pat Watkins, who's going to help on kick coverage teams, which they desperately need. He'll be the 67th Charger player to take the field. this year, which is a lot. Because they keep dropping and adding and dropping and adding and dropping. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. And you both. And then Phillip Rivers, they were talking to him yesterday about kind of what he did over the break. Cut to. I mean, it was nice. I think any time you go into bye week off a win, it's certainly a lot better. And I think it came at a good time. Fortunately, for myself, health-wise, I feel as good as I felt after nine games, probably in any year.
But it's nice to rest your mind a little bit, and it was good. It was good just to certainly watch the little ball, but just hanging out with family. Taking a little time off. Wow, he's feeling good. And Monday night is the game against the Broncos. So I'm stoked to see that. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be a big, big game. And then finally, Roy Halladay unanimously won the NL Cy Young Award for the Phillies. And he's the fifth pitcher to earn that honor in both leagues. He was 21-10 with a 2-4-4 ERA. Struck out 219 people. And the guy threw a perfect game and a no-hitter in the playoffs. That is Mr. Cy Young. That's Woods on Sports. All right, so a couple of things. Number one. Mike, the situation. Oh, wow. Him and Bristol Palin recorded a public service announcement about abstinence, and it is... Oh, wow. Oh, boy. Really? Let me tell you. It wins an award for cringe-worthy performance. It's so uncomfortable to listen to. It's the worst acting, and the worst... It's horrific, and I'll play it for you.
I'll play it for you next. And then also we talked about it and we will tell you about it when we come back as the whole jawbone found in Aruba. Is it Natalie Holloway? We'll give you details next. A painfully, painfully bad public service announcement from the situation, the dude from Jersey Shore and Bristol Palin in just a moment. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's L-O-B. That's Sienna. That's Jay. And it's Scrap. Scrap. Scrap. We go through 25 gallons of water on this show. I don't know how many coffee because there's 25 gallons of water.
So if anybody's listening and wants to bring us a cup of coffee, we would really appreciate it. Or water. Yeah, water. Just water. I feel like a pair of girls. If there's anyone listening that can actually hear my voice as we send this out as a beacon right now, that can actually bring us some water for us to survive over the next four hours, we urge you, please. I walk next door. Mikey-thon is happening. Mikey-thon 2010, ladies and gentlemen. Mikey-thon is happening December 16th and 17th. It's a Thursday and a Friday, and it's going to be full of surprises. It's going to be one incredible party. And the other thing is it's going to hopefully raise a lot of money for Rady Children's Hospital and their Autism Discovery Institute. In just about 25 minutes, Henry Hill, the real Henry Hill, the focus of the movie Goodfellas. is going to be on the Mikey Show. And then at 8.30, we have John Tyner, and he is the guy that is causing all this talk at the TSA, you know, the dude that said, don't touch my junk. Word of the day, Frisbee. Okay, so let me play this for you. This is a public service announcement about abstinence. Now, you may ask yourself, well, why would Bristol Palin be doing a thing on abstinence? She just had a kid.
Well, I guess her bit is, you know, from this point on. It's not about why this, about what next. And what if the situation smushes everybody? Yeah, he smushes everybody. And so here is the two of them in a very bad PSA. Well, excuse me, miss. Have you ever had a situation with the official situation? Excuse me, Sitch? Oh, my gosh. Oh, snap, B. Palin. You mean to tell me that girls actually fall for that line? Come on. I mean, if those words don't work. I got the situation right there. I hope you're as committed to safe sex as you are those abs. I know you're all about that abstinence thing, you know, but, I mean... Come on, B. Palin, are you serious? Like, you're not gonna hook up with, like, before you marry? For real. For real. For real, for real. For real, for real, for real. All right, well, you know what? I mean, just in case you do get into a situation, I want to make sure that you are situated, because if you do get into a situation with your situation, you may end up with a situation. And you may not like that situation. Trust me, though. I'm not getting myself into another situation. I know how hard it is to be a teen parent. You know what? I totally respect that. And I totally respect abstinence. I mean, it actually has the word abstinence. I mean, come on. I'm in a situation. I love that. Very funny. But I'm worried about you and you practicing safe sex. I actually practice a whole lot. I mean, a whole lot. Talk about the safe part of that. Ah, the safe part. We got the safe part down pat. What pile? Magnums. Oh. You know what?
I might be able to spare one. I mean, you know, I'll give you one. It's fine. I avoid situations. All right, good, good. If you're good at avoiding situations, and you're situated, and I'm situated, situation's under control. Well, I'm glad that we agree on one thing. Pause before you play. Pause before you play. That's probably the most important thing. Oh, my God. You got to think before you get into a situation. P-B-Y-P, that ain't no PB&J sandwich. Bite. Wipe out. Snap. That was... That was the most painful minute and 40 seconds. I would rather someone punch me in the face than listen to that again. I would listen again. Guess what? Oh my gosh. Guess what? What? That guy is going to make $10 million in this fiscal year. There's no justice. $10 million. What is wrong with the world? $10 million. Yeah. That guy. Yeah. Now listen.
It's like, eh. Yeah. I was just crying. You know, it's like saying, you know, which is the better turd, but he acted better. What? No, I thought she was better. You thought she was better than he was? She sounded like Meryl Streep next to that guy. Yes. Oh, he was awful. She was like, I'm going to give her an Oscar. He couldn't even play himself. Yeah, he can't play himself. The situation. I thought he was better than that. Oh, my God. All of your cred that you had with me for your directing bit and your acting, it's out the window. It's gone. Well, with her, it sounded like she was reading. And with him, it sounded like he was at least trying to ad-lib some stuff where she was like, come on now. You don't get those rock hard abs if you. See, I've heard him on the show. And he can't even do himself. I've never heard. I've never seen the show. I like the word abstinence because it has abs in it. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Oh, the whole thing was brutal. $10 million. He's going to make $10 million. Seanna, how's that feel? I just have to laugh. You get up at 3 o'clock in the morning. Oh, yeah. You come in here. You're super talented. He makes $10 million. I've got really bad news for you. He might make more than that. He does. He has endorsements. Oh, my God.
And they pan. What do we say? $35,000? $35,000 if you want to hire the situation to come to your party. And people pay it. Meanwhile, we're trying to get one appearance at a grocery store. Give me 50 bucks, I'm there. Absolutely. I'll pay my own gas. Yeah, Woodsy, how much for you to come to someone's party? Me? Yeah. Free. No. Booze. Give me drinks. Food. You're ridiculous. Can I be your agent? Can I be your agent for a second? Dude, name a price. Okay. All right. So somebody's having a party and they want Woods from the Mikey Show. What about $300? Sold. Yeah. So for $300, anybody listening right now, they can hire you to come to their party. Yes. Are you kidding? $300 for cash? How about $50? No, I wouldn't do it for $50. You have to be able to bring like. A couple people from the entourage, like us and Jamie. You guys and my wife. But if, okay, so let's say. Now, here's my question as you're listening, M1s. Would you pay $200 to have Woodsy come to you? I want to know if anybody, if there's one person willing, 570-1949, would you pay $200 to have Woodsy come to your party? You're having a party this weekend. Cash money. Cash money. And, you know.
Now, we have to have some parameters here. Okay. My rider? Woods will stay at the party until a certain time. Like two hours? No, 10 to midnight, I'll stay. You'll stay from 10 to midnight? You can stay up till midnight? Yeah, on a weekend. Okay, 10 to midnight. And because he's going to be driving himself. No, I would like a cab. Oh, you'd like a cab? Because I would like to have a couple cocktails with you. I need a cab home. A cab's fine. Cab's fine. Cab's great for the wife and I. Cab for us. $200. Two bills and a cab. You got me. And for that, you get you and the wife? Yeah. Both come to the party. Wow. She's not going to let me go myself. You know that? That is a hundred. You have to get on a tight leash. Just so you know. Just so you know. Every phone line is blowing up right now. Yes. Party time. I want to know. Listen to this. M1 Joey from Chula Vista. Are you there? I'm right here. And you would pay how much? I would pay $500 for Woods. Yes. Holy cow. Holy cow. And I would be there, Joey. You would pay $500. Would you pay the cab ride? I would pay a pickup cab ride with whatever he wants inside the car.
And with M1DC driving because M1DC will have to drive. For sure. Wow. Wow. Who knew? Are you having a party? I'm getting married. Wow. Oh, my God. I'll come to your wedding for 500 bucks. I'll do this toast. That is amazing. I love it. That's so great. That's amazing to me. That's why. We got 500. Can you jump 500? I'm pretty fun at a party. I think we start bidding. Oh, listen. Let me tell you something. I will tell you this right now. I will tell you this right now. And I'm saying this with complete seriousness. I mean, I am a terrible person to have at a party because I'm so uncomfortable. Woods is the life of the party. There is no doubt about it. fun. So long as he doesn't dip out early. Yes, exactly. And under contract, I would stay. You'd be asleep on the couch. Stay till midnight. If I knew I had a cab waiting, the only time I ever duck out early is if my wife's having drinks and I'm not because I gotta drive. Sienna's party. I didn't have any drinks because I knew how to drive. I'm late. He said he'd pay $5.50.
$5.50. He said $5.50. Bird will pay $5.50 to have Woods come to a party. $5.50. $5.50. He's at a surfer's budget. $5.50. Hey, thank you, Joey. Let's see. We're getting some other people calling in. M1 Ciancho from Vista. How much would you pay for Woodsy to come to your party? $200, a barbecue, a keg, a rock to jump off into a pool, and a bunch of beautiful little girls. It's not bad. That's not bad. Sold! How little are these girls? They're midgets. They're one-legged strippers. Okay. Wow. He would go for free. I'll pay you $200 for that, my friend. M1 Devin from San Diego. Hey, what's going on, guys? What's up? I'd pay $200.
If he brings out a meat with him. And they split it. Sweet, fresh hundo. A hundo apiece. Now, I'm going to throw some other ideas out there, okay? I'm going to throw some other ideas. How much would you pay... for Eskimo Blue Waters in full Eskimo Blue Waters regalia. I don't know if she's ever gotten paid. Yeah, she's never had. How much would you be willing to pay to have Eskimo Blue Waters in full Eskimo regalia? Cowboy hat, jeans, layered necklaces and bracelets. Come and do a performance. How much for that? Dreamcatcher earrings. Dreamcatcher earrings. How much would you pay for Hoyle to come to your party? How much would you pay for Captain Buzzkill? How much would you pay? I want to see what the... Because we're freaking out that we're freaking out that the situation commands $35,000 in cash and...
First class tickets out there to the flight. First class tickets. Sweets. Sweets. Gets to bring his friends. All that kind of stuff. 570-1949. M1 spine guy from San Diego. What's up? Hey, man. If I had $35,000 that I was going to spend on someone coming to my party. Yeah. I'd give it to Woodsy way before I'd give it to that greaseball. Yeah. That's great. Oh, I would take it in a heartbeat. That is great. Holy crap. I'd stay for 15 hours. Oh, my goodness. I'd help you clean up. I'd help you clean up the whole bit, man. 570-1949-M1. Fathead is on the line from Oceanside. Hey, what's up? What's up, dude? Nada. Hey, I got a suggestion for you guys. How about you put your money where your mouth is? Actually do this and take that money in. Donate it to one of your guys or one of the organizations that you got your follow. Ian, dude. I'm doing the heartbeat. You know, our thing for the Mikey-thon 2010 is all for Rady Children's Hospital Autism Discovery Institute. Maybe we have an auction during the Mikey-thon. Yeah. Well, this is what I know for sure. This is what I know for sure. Jeffrey at Pamplemousse, my favorite restaurant ever. He is very gracious and every year he says, listen.
I will donate a dinner with the Mikey show and with a person in there, you know, a guest. So we will be doing that for sure. That's awesome. But we should also do a thing where maybe the Mikey show goes to your party or selected people from the Mikey show go to your party or whatever. I would do it. We'll bring the pizza. I think you guys would make a great thing. You guys could get a whole lot of money. Yeah. Well, I mean, listen. Plus, you guys should go to a party. Yeah, and I think that we bid. I think we bid that, you know. I think we bid that and we start the bidding at like a grand. And we'll do that during Mikey-thon. It should be the whole show. The whole show. The whole show. All five of us at your party. Maybe even Crows. Mikey, you can be the DD.
The DD? Yeah. I would be the designated driver. Or they can get us a limo. Or you can get a limo if you have to. Fine. Start at $1,000 and a limo. 570-1949 is our number. Thanks for the call, man. That's a great idea. And I'd be all the way in. What if we got like $2? $2, yeah. That would be embarrassing. That would be really embarrassing. Can we all decide on one date? That's the other thing. That's the other thing. We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. M1AJ from Riverside. Hi. What's up? I would pay $1,000. For LOD, EBW, Hoyle and Woods. That's hysterical. Yeah. What's really funny about that is that in order to get LOB and Eskimo Blue Waters. Costume change. Costume change. Share. That'll cost you. That's going to cost you a little extra. Okay, well, $1,500. There you go. $1,500 because you're getting two people there. There you go. You're getting LOB and Eskimo Blue Waters. Yeah, that's why. And they're very different people. Absolutely. Very different people. Very different people. I would. Yeah, there you go.
There you go. There you go. Thanks a lot, dude. Thank you. That's M1AJ. Well, that is on. Idea was just born. There you go. And Idea was just born, and I love it. Happening at the Mikey Thon, December 16th, 17th. Let's see here. We have to get an auctioneer. You know, I know somebody whose dad is an auctioneer. Oh, rat. I do. I know somebody whose dad is an auctioneer. We want to do it online, though, right? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, we'll do it online. Such a bigger audience, though. Let's see. Okay, so there was a jawbone found in Aruba, and what do we know about this thing? Okay, now a tourist couple found this bone on the beach. They're walking along in Aruba, and they're like, this is really weird. What is this? They bring it in, turn it to the hotel clerk who alerted the authorities. They've looked into it. Now, they don't know if it's a jawbone of an animal or a human, but it was found near the Phoenix Hotel, which is one of the places Joran Vandersloot mentioned.
where she may be. Right. Natalie Holloway. Yeah. And so they're looking into this and then if it turns out it is a human bone, then they're going to attempt to create a DNA profile to see if it belonged to Natalie Holloway. You know, listen, this is one thing that we know about Yoran Vandersloot. First of all, we know that he's a dirtbag. We do know that he's a dirtbag based on what he just did and that he's going to go to prison for, which was killing a girl in Peru. My guess is that if he killed Natalie Holloway, he had to do something about her body quickly. And so it wouldn't surprise me that it would eventually turn up, that it would be washed up, that it would be uncovered. Because I don't see that guy having the wherewithal to be able to dig a gigantic hole like the mafia does. Five years is a long time, though. Yeah. That's a long time for that thing to be... Maybe it took five years for it to be washed up. But it's just a bone. Yeah, and it's just a bone. That's what I mean. A jawbone. Imagine that couple walking along the beach and even thinking that it would belong to her. Sure. And if it is, they'll know because obviously there's dental records. And so if it is her, they would be able to know.
So let's do some TomTom tunes. 570-1949. Call us if you want to play some TomTom tunes with us. The way that the game is played is we have a TomTom GPS device. It's actually Woodsies. It's kind of our shows now because I don't really use it. I kind of know where I'm going now. Which is kind of bumming. It is sad. It's a bummer. Money well spent. I got my money out of it. Yeah. But how you doing, TomTom girl? I'm doing adequately, Mikey. That's her. She, you know, talks like a machine. And you call us right now, 570-1949. What could the prize be today, Jay? We've got tickets to see the movie Faster, starring Dwayne Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton. There you go. All right, so what TomTomGirl does is she reads lyrics to a song. But because of her voice, it's kind of hard to tell what the song is. I'm attempting to sing, Mikey. You're attempting to sing. Okay. And so what you do is if you can give me title or artist, you win. It's very easy. M1D Train from Marietta is online. Are you there? Yeah, how are you? I'm doing good, man. How you doing? Good. All right, let's play some Tom Tom tunes. Listen to these lyrics. You got 30 seconds or less to figure it out. Here we go.
I have got some good old loving, and I got some more in store. When I get through throwing it on you, you have got to come back for more. Boys and things that come by the dozen. That ain't nothing but drugstore loving. Hey, little thing, let me light your candle. Because, Mama, I'm sure hard. Can you figure out what that is, M1D train? Is it light my candle? It is not light my candle. It is the Black Crow's hard to handle. It's tougher than it seems. It's way tougher than it seems. Sing along with it. Yeah, I'm telling you, dude. It ain't easy. M1 Jeremy from Vista. You there? I'm here. All right, you ready to do this? Let's do it. All right, you got 30 seconds or less to figure out what Tom Tom Girl is singing?
It doesn't matter what I say so long as I sing with inflexion. That makes you feel that I will convey some inner truth of vast reflexion. But I have said nothing so far and I can keep it up as long as it takes. And it don't matter who you are. If I'm doing my job, it's your resolve that breaks. M1 Jeremy, what was she singing? Dude, no. No idea. Ditto. That was Blue's Traveler. Oh, man. And the song was Hook. Wow. It's hard. That's very tough. It is not easy. It's one of the most challenging games ever in the history of radio. All right. Up next, M1. Jamie from Lakeside. Are you there? Yes, I am. All right, Jamie, you ready? Good morning. I feel like Jamie will understand me. Yeah, Jamie, maybe you guys already have a connection. Are you ready to do this? Yes, let's do it. 30 seconds or less. Here we go. All I can say is that my life is pretty plain. I like watching the puddles gather rain. What is it? I know the song. I was just going to sing the words.
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two and speak my point of view. But it's not saying, it is not saying I just... Lion melon. Yeah! You got it. Nice. Very, very well done. Jamie, you are our one winner today. Hang on the line, will you? Good work. Hang on the line. Yeah, very good work. And it ain't easy. Yeah, yeah, dude. Oh, that is a jam. He is an iconic figure, especially for most of us guys. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster. He is Henry Hill, and he will be on The Mikey Show next. The real Henry Hill will be on with us in just moments.
Sienna, what's going on in news? Sad story in Hollywood yesterday. A longtime Hollywood publicist, her name is Ronnie Chasen. She died after the premiere of the new burlesque movie. This was on, they're saying it was Tuesday morning and I'm reading stories. It was Monday evening. I believe it was. Late Monday evening, she was leaving the premiere and someone shot multiple shots into her car, killing her. Oh my God. Yeah, they don't know who it was, but this story is everywhere right now. Really, really sad. There's pictures of her earlier that night with the people from Slumdog Millionaire, like on the red carpet, just leaving. Oh, so sad. So hopefully they're going to find whoever's behind it. On a little bit of a lighter note, Barbara Walters will be sitting down with the president and first lady. Wait, wait, wait. You're saying that the president is going to... Do an interview? Weird. This is the first interview since he's become president, right? So weird, Michael. He'll actually be here on our show the next day. Yeah, yeah. No, but he's doing an after-Thanksgiving special, which is going to be on Friday, November 26th, and one-hour special with Barbara. Woods, what's going on in sports? University of Southern Mississippi linebacker Martez Smith is paralyzed from the waist down. We reported on it yesterday. Three of the Southern Mississippi players were out celebrating their win over Central.
Florida and were shot. The good news is that two out of three people have been arrested. Patricia Lofton-Brown and Cleothas Wilkerson have been arrested for the shooting of those three football players. One was shot in the neck, one in the chest, and then this guy's spine was severed, which is just so sad. And then finally, the 25th ranked San Diego State Aztecs men's basketball team. Had a huge win last night. They beat number 11, Gonzaga, 79-76, which is just a real good thing for those guys, and they're looking like a real solid team. Yeah. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster. I know I'd go from rags to return. To me, being a gangster was better than being president of the United States. Never write on your friends. And always keep your mouth shut. It meant being somebody in the neighborhood that was full of nobodies. What do you think? You look like a gangster. By the time I grew up, there was 30 billion a year in cargo moving through Idyll Airport. And believe me, we tried to steal every bit of it. You might know who we are, but we know who you are. You understand? Yeah.
What kind of people are these? What do you do? I'm in construction. If we wanted something, we just took it. And you didn't even think about it. Thomas, it was better than Citibank. Nice. It's great, but nice. You got some nerve standing me up. Nobody does that to me. Who the hell do you think you are? Frankie Valli or some kind of big shot? I was living in a fantasy. For most of the guys, killings got to be accepted. Murder was the only way that everybody stayed in line. On the phone with us right now, ladies and gentlemen, is this the real Henry Hill? It is. How are you, Henry? Oh, just good.
Fine, fine, fine. It's good to talk to you. Listen, you've been in an interview that I've wanted to do for years. And, you know, I think most guys can say that the movie Goodfellas ranks in every dude's top three, if not their all-time favorite movie of all time. And it must be kind of cool for you, being that the movie is basically about your life. Yeah, yeah. That it is. You know, there's no getting away from it. That was my best, and I got to own it, I guess. Yeah. It's interesting because in doing some research about you and finding some stuff out about you, anybody that hasn't seen the movie, what you've got to know about Henry Hill is that this guy was in the mafia, couldn't be a made guy because of his Irish descent. So you could not be a made guy. But one of the things that's really interesting about Henry Hill is that...
He eventually ended up talking to the FBI, and he went state evidence and stuff, and they put him in the witness protection program. But he has a website, and it's goodfellowhenry.com. He sells pasta sauce, artwork on eBay, memorabilia, coffee, that kind of stuff. And what's so interesting about it is that you have an area on your website called Threat of the Week. Is that right? Yeah. Because you're still getting threats to this day, Henry? No, I mean, yeah, you know, I mean, anybody can put a threat on it. You know, on a computer, you know, a 14-year-old kid in, you know, Iowa could threaten it. Sure. You know, I take it. I take it with a grain of salt. Right. It's, you know, I don't think there's anybody out there that really wants to kill me these days. You know, I mean, that's in my past. You know, that's over 30 years ago. You know, the movie's been out 20 years. It's the 20th anniversary. You know, and, you know, now I'm here on Earth, fortunately.
Just try to redeem myself, you know? Henry, you know, I got to tell you, we're talking to Henry Hill, the focus of the movie Goodfellas. And I got to tell you, a lot of guys, Woodsy included, watches Goodfellas on a regular basis because he just loves the film that much. I love it so much. When is the last time, Henry, that you saw the movie Goodfellas from beginning to end? I don't know. In the last six months, I've seen it. You know, I put on a lot of these Q&A things at dinners. You know, and I showed a movie, and then they, you know, it's like a wedding reception. You know, there's a couple hundred people there, and that dinner, watched a movie, and I would say about six months ago. Henry, how are you not terrified going to a banquet like that and giving a...
a whole deal. I know it was 30 years ago, but if it were me, I'd be terrified to get up in front of a group of people where I don't know who's there and, you know, do that kind of thing. How do you deal with that fear? You know, I think the fur is gone. You know, I'm close to 70 years old. That was like 30 years ago. I don't think there's anyone out there today that really wants to see me dead, you know. Listen, you know, like I said previously, I got to own my past. You know, I have to own it, and I do. You know, but today I don't live that way. I just try to be a grain of sand better today than I was yesterday. And, you know, help these knucklehead kids out, you know, that are stuck in gangs. I do a lot of charitable work, and not that I want to pat myself on the back, but, you know, I try to talk to these knucklehead kids that, you know, that are involved in gangs and crazy stuff.
Yeah, Henry Hill on the line with us. Henry was the focus of the movie Goodfellas, which, like you said, this year's the 20th anniversary of that movie. He was, in case you're not familiar, connected to the Paul Vario and Lucchese crime family in New York. He was close with Jimmy the Gent. De Niro played Jimmy in the movie. And also Tommy DeSimone, who Joe Pesci played in the movie. How close did they get? in the movie to what really happened, Henry? It was 95% on the money. I mean, we didn't have to embellish anything in that movie. I mean, everything was there. I mean, you know, truth is strange and a fiction. What's the 5% that isn't, that they didn't capture? Okay, they had a, you know, combined different people together, you know, because it was, I mean... You know, to put your life in two and a half hours is pretty difficult. Yeah. They combined a lot of stuff. But, I mean, all the facts are there. You know, I mean, it was right on the money, that movie. Woodsy has a question for you. Hey, Mr. Hill, I had read or heard that Robert De Niro, when he was prepping for the role of Jimmy Burke, that he...
reached out to you quite a bit as to how Jimmy really was, and what can you say to that? Is that true? I mean, I probably spoke to Bobby three or four times. Before he ever did a scene, every day I spoke with him. Wow. How would Jimmy hold his cigarette? How would Jimmy hold his shot glass? That's awesome. That's amazing. That's amazing. And how about you? Do you think that Ray Liotta captured who you are, Henry? 120%. I mean, he nailed it. And Marty Scorsese didn't want me to sit down with him prior to the filming because he had never directed Ray. And he wanted to direct him his way. He had set in his mind how he wanted to direct Ray. And he did an unbelievable job. I couldn't believe it. The first time I seen that movie, it was surreal for me. You know, how we nailed it. We're talking to Henry Hill, the real Henry Hill of the movie Goodfellas. When did you see it the first time? Before it was released, after the final cut, Warner Brothers invited me and 24 people or whatever it was, a couple of carloads of people to their theater on a lot.
And I mean, I just sat there and I, you know, I mean, it's so weird, you know, to see a life portrayed on a silver screen. I mean, it was to me. Let me ask you this, Henry, of all of the scenes in Goodfellas, and there are many of them that are chilling. And if any of us were in that situation ourselves, we'd be terrified. But just in the movie Goodfellas, which one of those moments stands out to you as the moment where your heart was really racing in real life? I woke up every morning counting my blessings back in the day. I mean, I was scared to death just about every day in my life, you know, when I was in that life. I mean, it's hard to say. I mean, I knew that I was going to get whacked. You know, at the end, you know, the handwriting was on a wall. You know, Dad killed 11 partners of mine and two of their wives. You know, after the Lutheran robbery and, you know, the feds knew that I was going to get whacked. They had tape recordings of Jimmy talking and they had information from the informants that I was going to get killed. And, you know, I found it, you know, hard to believe. But, you know, in the end, I knew I was going to get whacked. We're talking to Henry Hill. Now, Henry, in the film, there's a scene where you're in a diner.
with Jimmy, and Jimmy slides a matchbox over to you, and he wants you to take a trip that he wouldn't normally want you to take, and in the movie, you said, at that moment, you knew you were dead. Is that... He wanted me to go to Florida and kill his kid that informed on us, you know, for dealing drugs, and Jimmy had never asked me before, you know, to go and whack somebody, and that was the first time he'd ever asked me, and I knew. I knew that if I went to Florida, I never would have got on a plane or in a car to get to Florida. Wow. And what was it about that matchbox and him asking you to go to Florida to kill somebody? What was it about the first time him asking you to kill somebody that made you realize that you were next? Well, I mean, I had known before that I was going to get whacked. I mean, it was, I mean, it was just inevitable. I was the only one left, you know, from the Lutoncer robbery that had anything to do with it. And, you know, and like I said, Jimmy had never asked me, you know, to personally go to Florida. And especially the guy, you know, I was supposed to go with Anthony Stabile. And it, I mean, he was a cold-blooded murderer, just like every one of those other guys, you know, that I associated with back in those days. They were homicidal maniacs.
Are you convinced that he would have been the guy that would have killed you? Absolutely. That's incredible. You know, it's scary as heck. Yeah. Let me ask you, Henry. You know, in the movie, when that Lufthansa robbery takes place, how much money are we talking that was stolen from Lufthansa? $8 million. $8 million. And it was all in cash? $6 million was in cash. And this was, you know, 1978. So let me ask you this. Did you ever, with your own eyes, look at $6 million in cash, or did you see it in smaller amounts?
You know, I've seen half a million dollars one time. You know, I mean, I carried it in a suitcase. That was you, yeah, that did the Air France, right? Air France, you know, it'll tell you. We didn't discriminate. Did you ever speak to Jimmy afterwards? Sure, absolutely. We had Louis-Honso Robbie, of course. You know, we would still have secret meetings. Henry, did you ever speak with him after you joined the, or not joined the witness protection, but went into witness protection? Correct. No, I'll testify against him. Was your heart just pounding during those moments? Oh, absolutely. I mean, I knew the way he rationalized things. I knew the way he thought. I knew the way he functioned. I mean, I was with the guy.
Real close to him for, you know, 15 years. You know, so, I mean, I knew, you know, what he had on his mind. You know, he was a calculating son of a gun. And he, you know, he, you know, but, you know, I beat him to the punch. Yep. Henry, we're talking to Henry Hill. who's the focus of Goodfellas, which this year is the 20th anniversary of the release of the movie. So, Henry, as you sat there in that courtroom and you're giving testimony against Jimmy and you're looking at Jimmy and he's there, because of what you knew about him and because of what you knew was going on in his head, was there ever a pause? Was there ever a moment in you where fear almost got the best of you and you almost changed your story? Oh, no. You know, once... Once I had made the agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office, I knew that there was no turning back. It was a tough decision for me at the time, but it was a matter of my life and my family's life. Because these guys, every one of them was a homicidal maniac.
I often thought, you know, what am I doing here? How am I going to get out of this? And it's been 30 years, as you said, Henry, since all this has gone down. And now we talk to you and you say, and you're very open about, well, you know, I don't necessarily fear for my life anymore. But in the years that passed right after you went state's evidence, how long until you stopped fearing for your life, even under witness protection? 10, 15 years, you know, before, you know, honest to God, I mean, I, it was, it was difficult, you know, and, and it was a lot more difficult on my family than on myself. You know, I mean, I live by the sword and I, you know, I guess I was prepared to die by the sword, but, you know, that's the way it is in that subculture of organized crime. Do you miss the life at all? Absolutely not. I bet.
Every day you were terrified for your life. I don't blame you. Henry, your website is goodfellahenry.com. He sells coffee, pasta sauce, artwork on eBay, sells memorabilia. And Henry, I just want to thank you for taking the time to come on. You're somebody that is one of the most intriguing and interesting people, I think, especially for men. Absolutely. Especially for men that are fans of Martin Scorsese's movie. Good fellas. Thank you so much for coming on. We appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you. It's Henry Hill. Me too. Scary. What it must have been like to be in some of those cars and in some of those rooms. I can only imagine. Yeah. And they show you a fingernail in that movie of the stuff that went down. A fingernail. Yeah. I mean, it's terrifying. He's great. That was a good interview. Great. Oksana, by the way, Oksana is Mel Gibson's now ex-wife that he slapped. She's doing a big interview tonight with Larry King. And they have let out some real juicy clips from this interview where she's talking about Mel beating her, why she recorded him, which is different because for a while she was saying, you know, I don't know where that came from. And also she talks about his apology.
And so we will give you these juicy clips next. Just talk to the real Henry Hill from Goodfellas. Awesome. 570-1949. All the juicy details that Oksana is giving about Mel Gibson coming up in a second. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Woodsy's our sports guy. He's the guy sitting right across from me. To my right is Lauren O'Brien, otherwise known as LOB. She's the blonde girl. She's also a stand-up comedian. To my left, the lovely Sienna. They don't just run in the family. They got up. John Tyner is going to be on the air with us at 8.30. You just have to be listening for it. Frisbee is the word, and we yesterday weaved.
the word of the day in during commercials so you got to be listening at all times in order to get it um all right so oksana uh is going to be on larry king tonight and here she talks about uh mel gibson beating her january 6 this year this year um the beating took place mel actually assaulted me whilst i was holding the baby in my arms And whose house? Your house? That was his house. Well, our house at that point. And I ran into my son's bedroom and told him to hide because Mel is crazy. You know, he's getting really violent. So my son was getting ready for bed and he jumped around the bed and kind of behind the bed. And I was standing in the middle of the room with the baby like... like, you know, a mother protecting her cubs, and I was standing in the middle of the room holding the baby as Mel proceeded into the room and... Struck you? Struck me twice in the mouth. In front of your boy? In front of my boy. Was he drunk? No, he wasn't. He wasn't drunk. Was he high? Was he out of his gourd? Three sheets to the wind. Was he three sheets to the wind? Why was she doing the interviews, by the way? That's a good question.
Did you not have a book? No. Not yet. Reality show on the way, probably. I just want to set the record straight because Mel, he talks about maybe doing movie again, maybe being a lethal weapon 17. He has said that to you? He says that, and I think that's not fair. That's not... It's actually, that's not fair. That's not... That's... That's... That's... That's... That's. That. That's. It's guys. That's. With me. That's. That. There's some more of the interview. Why, Oksandra, did you tape him? There's a few reasons. I started taping it around 11 o'clock because I thought I'm actually not going to live for the night. I'm actually not going to live for the night. He's going to come over and kill you. Yes, that's what he said in those tapes. But she said she didn't tape him. She didn't do it. She was scared. She was scared to say she didn't tape him? Why did you lie, Oxana? In my country, you say there are different meanings for knot. With a rope, you tie tight. That's a knot. That's what I agreed to. Did you have your fingers crossed?
When you said originally the first time? Behind my back, yes. Behind your back. I did not pinky swear. If I pinky swear, I would not go back on my word. You wouldn't go back on your word. And when you said that you did not tape him, what you meant was, I didn't tie a knot. That's what I intended. I did not tie a knot. Maybe she didn't tape him with tape. Scotch tape. Scotch tape, duct tape. Scotch tape and rope. Right, you didn't tape him that way. This is not something I would do. Actually, what you'd say is, that's not something I would do. That's with an S at the end. So you would say that. That. That. We heard them without any interruption. We'll hear some more, yeah. They were edited, maybe. Yeah, I mean, I have. non-edited and it's pretty frightening and it's completely unforgivable. So you were taping him in the thought that you'd be killed and you wanted... Wait, you can't tell me what I can forgive and what I can't forgive. Yeah. You can't tell me. The world to hear this? I wanted my mother to be able to prove that if I'm dead that this is who did it. That's a good idea, by the way. I don't know why she didn't from the very beginning, though, say, you know, yeah, of course I taped him. Yeah. The guy's threatening my life. Yeah, for sure. Of course I did.
And here she talks about his apology. He hit me and choked me in front of my son and then, you know, brandished the gun at me and we left him. I left him on the 6th of January. And the very following morning, the very following day, he was already apologetic, asking for apologies, asking for a chance for us to be together, that he will be cured, he will be treated, he will be evaluated, all those words. Well, wait. He'll be cured and treated and evaluated for alcohol or for... Herpes. Wait a minute, Oksana. You didn't say that. I never heard him say that. I never heard that, Oksana. That's something... I have now punked him. You're saying... I was covering up for him and... He didn't report it.
I didn't report it. I was covering up for him, and I believed him. And if somebody's asking you for a chance, you give them the chance. All right. Hairpiece. Hairpiece. It's a true story. That's a true story. Okay. Hairpiece. Hairpiece. A hairpiece? Hairpiece. He had a hairpiece? He's been treated for it, though. Genital hairpiece. Oh, my God. You're saying a hairpiece. Genital hairpiece. That's the weirdest thing ever. I'm making fun of him. I'm making fun of Mel Gibson, as a matter of fact. You're a big Mel Gibson fan? I enjoy movies. I know you do. Like Mad Max or that. You know what else I enjoy? Poland. Poland. Slovakia. I'm 50% Polish. Well, it's even worse than it. You would make such a dastardly joke about the marriage that you're actually from. I wasn't joking about that. It was more of a caricature. A satire. A satire. You ever watch Saturday Night Live? You see, you know, doesn't do that. Who? Jared and Christy. They don't? This is Captain Buzzkill. I know. Why don't you introduce me? Sorry. Ladies and gentlemen, from his mother's basement, Captain Buzzkill. I don't live in my mother's house.
Where do you live? I live in my mother's guest room. You hang out in the basement. That's where your office is. Ew. There's no basement in the Western United. What color are the sweatpants you're wearing right now? Green. Wait. Go back to it. What are you talking about? There's no basement. Basements are in East Coast. They don't have any. They don't? No. No. Nowhere? No. I've never even been in a basement. Really? No. I've done a lot of Frenching in basements. Oh, my goodness. I always degenerate to do that with you. You're right, degenerate. You're right. It always goes here. It's always about the lowest common denominator. Exactly. The cheap lap. Give scabs on your knuckles. Have you ever Frenched a girl? Did you hear what I said? Yeah, I heard you. I don't drag my hat. Do you have... Say it, Captain Buster. Say it. Did it? Did it? Dickie can't. What?
Didn't Mikey have a conversation with you about actively listening to you? How do you know? How do you know what Mikey had a conversation? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Wow. Weird, man. That's so strange. Captain Buzzkill wants to make sure I laugh at his joke. Oh, my stomach hurts. My stomach hurts so bad. That was brilliant. Oh, my gosh. That was a really strange moment. That was weird. That was such a strange moment. It's like he's inside. I'm very focused. Unbelievable. I'll just be quiet. Guy is unbelievable. Can't do anything right. Can't do anything right. I love it. There's a lot of anger in Captain Buzzkill. Oh, yeah. Speaking of anger, let's listen to Jay's recap. Uh-oh. Jay says, I don't understand why people can't slow down when they're driving down the street. My street. Your street. I can't tell you how many times we've been riding our bikes or playing ball out in the street and some car comes flying by.
I mean, really? Are you in that big of a hurry? One street down from us has had four dogs and three cats killed. Oh, my gosh. Oh, by the way, okay. How long till one of these clowns hits a kid? Slow down. Now, I have a couple of thoughts here. A, if you have a dog or a cat, shouldn't your dog be on a leash? They get out. If they get out, yeah. I mean, you shouldn't be speeding down the street. Let's say that first and foremost. You shouldn't be speeding down the street. It's worse than that, though. We actually go out and we put a cone at the top of the street and a cone at the bottom. The whole neighborhood comes out and plays on the street. Happy birthday, pal. Shut down the streets. Where should you ride your bike? Explain what happy birthday means. Happy birthday is like, hey.
It's all about me and what I want. Like if everybody wants to go to Burger King for lunch here, but I want to go to Wendy's and I pitch a fit and we go to Wendy's, Mikey or Sienna or Lauren or J-Man say, oh, happy birthday, pal. Must be your special day. So I'm not expecting you to go around our street. I'm just expecting you to slow down. No, I just want you to slow down. We've got a big white street. Yeah, the cones are like a warning. It's like, hey, there are kids out. Kids are playing right here. There's a corner and it's kind of a blind corner and they come flying around the corner. They like to dig. Again, like yesterday, there's this guy down the street that always, not only does he turn around, but he zooms inside the cone, sucks along the edge of the yard, and then flies by the kids like they're not even there. Oh, I would kill him. I would be mad, too. Yeah, you can't do that. You also can't put up sawhorses in your chamber. No, I'm not. I'm just saying, hey, here's what's going on. You can buy those? Yeah. Slow down. There's kids out here playing in the street. For sure. Where else are you going to ride your bikes? I mean, we're riding bikes. We're playing a little. Baseball out in the street. I actually swung a bat at a car the other day. I was like, slow down. A couple kids tried to get out, and I was like, really? I got a bat. I will crown you. You know, okay, listen. I'm just going to play a little devil's advocate here. I think that the city would say, hey, we got places for you to play. It ain't the street. It's called a park. That's why we got them. You should be playing in the park. They could say that. Would you ride your bike in a park? Yeah. Wouldn't you? Around a park. No? Around a park, maybe. But no, you ride your bike in the street.
Well, it's not the only place that you ride. And by the way, yeah, you ride your bike in the street. It's called the bike lane. That's the part that says- That's so sad. It's like, is this what this world is coming to? You can't even play outside of your house? Wait, that's what this world is coming to? That we like- You can't slow down to 10 miles an hour? Yeah. Hang on a second. Come on, you're in a neighborhood. How about this one? That's what this world is coming to, where cars can't drive on the street anymore? They can't? Completely different. Oh, you're saying they can't drive on the street when we're out there. So really, they can't drive? No, they can, I guess. But listen, I'm with Jay in that they should follow the speed limit, which is 30. I feel like this has been an age-old debate. I remember when I was a kid, there were signs all over the neighborhood, slow, children at play. And actually, one of my friends used to say, are you one of the slow children at play? Hey, wait a minute, though. Wait a second, though. I thought that the slow children at play are only around schools. No, they're in neighborhoods. They haven't been in my neighborhood. One of my neighbor puts up, he does like a bit, I don't know who it is, but he puts up like something funny to grab your attention every time. And then it's always, it's like a Santa or a skeleton or something holding a sign that says, please slow down. Pedestrians rule is the way it's supposed to be. It is. I agree. The only part of it that was a little off-putting was the cones.
Me too. Really? That's it for me. No, but that's a warning. It's a warning. Hey, look, I want you to be aware that there's something ahead that's like a hazard. Because you'll see a cone. You can't miss a cone. And so it's just, you know, if there's room for the car to go around the cone. Oh, there's so much room. My street is double wide. It's one thing if you have it like closed off. That's annoying. I pictured them right in the middle of the street when they turn. They're like, oh, stop. And have to go around? I have a question, Jay. Are you the guy that puts cones in front of your house so people can't park in your spot? No. I'm about to start that, by the way. Listen, if I saw a cone, I wouldn't go down that street. I'd think, oh, they're going to work. Then my work here is done. Parade. They're having a parade. That ain't right. No! You guys, that's... I'll do it. I'll put one of those seesaws. Have they renamed it, by the way? Have they renamed it J Street? The one guy who comes through like a bat out of hell doesn't even live on my street. He uses it as a cut through. Oh, wow. I've seen him enough times. Trust me. The one-fingered gesture I gave him yesterday was clearly, you know, stop.
I saw it in Mike's neighborhood the other day. I was driving to your house with my wife, and I was hugging the curb to take a ride, and this kid was going 75 down your street, bro. I'm not kidding. Yeah, I know. That's cool. No, I stopped and screamed at him. No. No, I said that from the beginning. I said that, you know, these guys that are speeding down the street, it's wrong. How do we know if this is for real? Because there's a thing on my screen that I love, but I don't know if it's for real. This is Chris, who says that he is Jay's neighbor. Is this Chris? It's not. Chris, how do we know? Tell us what you drive. I drive a black Lexus. No, that's not him. That's not him? No. Okay. Sorry, dude. That ain't you. Anyway, the guy was trying to say that. He was trying to start something. Yeah. Maybe he wanted to make a point. I'm sure he did. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe he didn't want to say what he drives. Well, listen, I'm of the belief that you don't speed. You don't speed down the street like that because people can get hurt. But I'm also of the belief that you can't put...
Absolutely. You can put cones. I guess she can. If it's going to protect your child, I'll do it every day. I guess she can. The way I pictured it was like, oh, Jay's blocking off his entire street for him and his kids to play, which is a little odd. No, I mean, I would put the cone right in the middle of the street. You can still go around on both sides, but that way it's like, whoa, you do have to slow down, that's for sure. Can you put speed bumps in front of your house? I would if I could build them. Jay, maybe help me out. Yeah. Yeah. Kids should be allowed to play in front of their house. Sure. Like, they're in a neighborhood. And if it takes time to put a cone up, I guess you have to put a cone up. Yeah, if you have that jerk of a neighbor. Speed bumps are a beating, but if they save kids' lives and stuff, then I'm pretty much for them. Yeah. Let's see. M1, Michelle is on the line. Are you there, Michelle? I'm here. Go ahead. I am so on track with Jay. I live on a speed-regulated street. We've got speed bumps. And there are people that go down the speed bumps and fucking go... Whoa! What freaks out? And lose their load out of the back of their truck because they're going so fast over it. Hey, be careful and don't curse, okay, Michelle? She's very upset about this situation. Do not curse, all right? I won't. All right. Don't curse. But I understand what you're saying. I understand what you're saying, and I don't blame you. Yeah.
When they're driving like that and they're doing their thing like that, it's tough. You got kids, you don't want your kids getting hurt. I'm turning into the old man of the neighborhood now, yelling at all the people's speed. Yeah, me too. Hey, we got John Tyner, the guy that said, if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested. Coming up next. We're waiting on John Tyner. Word of the day is frisbee. Going to happen sometime between now and 10 o'clock. You hear me say the word frisbee, got to call us, 570-1949. Caller number nine gets a Mikey Show t-shirt, pair of sunglasses to Anarchy, and you're entered into that $500 value, two-night stay at Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin. Sienna, what's going on in news? Do you guys know what today is? What is today?
National Unfriend Day on Facebook. Wow. Now, this was created by Jimmy Kimmel, who says that there's too many cheapened meaning. Facebook has cheapened the meaning of friendship because we'd befriend everyone on Facebook. So he says, all those people that annoy you and post annoying things on the wall and stuff. Delete them. I say the more the merrier. Yeah, why don't they call it Hurt Feelings Day? I know. Also, we know that Ireland's real estate bubble kind of collapsed recently, and because of their money troubles, apparently it scared investors all the way to Wall Street yesterday because the Dow Jones Industrial Average sank 178 points. Oh. Yes. Oh, that's a lot. More than 1.5%. Oh, wow. Not a good day. There goes my portfolio. Woods. Or lack thereof. Woods, what's going on in sports? Well, the ex-Mississippi State player, his name is John Bond. He met with federal law enforcement and state investigators regarding the Cam Newton situation at Auburn. And so he is interviewed with the FBI. He and another guy, Kenny Rogers, who was an agent, basically said, yeah, we met with Cecil Newton, who is Cam Newton's father. And he asked us for between $100,000 and $180,000.
for Cam to attend Mississippi State, which he did not, and he went to Auburn. That's crazy. Man, it's nuts. It's an absolutely crazy story. And I pulled this story because the only two lovely ladies on our show, both of their significant others, are huge Steelers fans, and the Steelers have cut ties with one of the biggest clowns on their team. Jeff Reed, he's a clown. He's one of my fantasy teams. He's a kicker, and he's missed a ton of field goals this year, and he's getting in trouble with the law. They said no more. They don't put up with that. And they signed Scott Sweesom, formerly of the Redskins and the Cowboys. Does that mean I get Scott Sweesom in fantasy? No, it means you need to pick up Scott Sweesom, probably. Yeah. Perfect. Yeah. Let's see. UFC 123 is Saturday. Matt Hughes and BJ Penn. Hey, BJ. We know that there's some pretty bad blood between you and Matt Hughes. Is that stuff real? Or is it all just kind of blown out of proportion? Yeah, back in the day, I didn't like Matt Hughes. But now, you know, we're much older. That's about six years behind us. And, you know, this is our job. And, you know, this is about fighting to see who's going to win that third fight. And, you know, I'm sure I won't get along with him while we're in the ring. But outside the ring, everything's good between us.
You said it. We'll believe it. My brother always says you said it. Don't make it so. But we'll see. This weekend, UFC 123 is Saturday. Matt Hughes and BJ Penn. So what is this, Jay? It is him. It is? It's the guy. Yeah, I talked to him for a minute. He called back. And he just didn't want to say what he drove. Oh, your neighbor? Yeah, the neighbor. The speedy neighbor. You know that it's him? We talked enough where he knows where, yeah. He talked or he yelled. Chris? Jay looks fired up. Hi. Hi. If you're just tuning in, Jay said that he has a neighbor that speeds down his street. They know who each other are. More than one. His kids are playing. This guy's a super clown. Wow. Jay puts a cone on the street, on each side of the street? No, just right out in the middle. So you can see. I do it at the top, and there's a neighbor that does it at the other end. And I've said I don't think it's the right to be speeding down the street, you know, with the kids. But, Chris, how do you reconcile that? Because I think that, you know, Jay is, you know, he's got the microphone there. He's on the radio crashing me. That's why I don't want to say what I was driving. It's embarrassing enough. If there's other neighbors, I sound like a complete jerk. I want to give my side of the story. Sound like one? Well, in fairness, he should. He should be able to. Go ahead.
First of all, I did hear Mikey say something about this idea of putting cones on the street. I don't know where this guy gets off thinking like, you know, he's the mayor of the city. Not the mayor. Out of direct traffic. It's not his place to decide how the flow of traffic is going to go. I'm trying to get home from work. Do you even live on our street? No, but I use the street to go home. It's a public street. Yeah, you cut through. It's not cul-de-sac. Yeah, you cut through. You cut through the neighborhood. He goes out of his way to cut through because it's faster. He misses a stop sign. He misses a stop sign. Look who's tough now. Well, wait a minute. Here's my question. Hang on, hang on, because I don't want you guys to fight, and I honestly don't. I really don't want you guys to fight. Chris, my question is. I kind of do. Okay. My question, Chris, is that I think that, I mean, wouldn't you agree that you should not be speeding if there's kids?
See, this is the thing. He expects everybody to cruise down there, like creep down there like they're in a parade. Which isn't right, Jay. He's going 35, easily going 35 down the road. They shouldn't be playing in the street. The speed limit is 25. Really? Easy Scrooge. There's nothing illegal about anything I'm doing. His kids shouldn't be in the street. So when you hit one of them, how are you going to feel? So when you hit one of them, you're early. Well, wait a minute. Jay, hang on a second. Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris, hang on. Because you're saying that you're obeying the speed limit, which I'm going to guess is 25 miles an hour, right? It is. Yeah, it's 25. Okay, now Jay says that you're going 35. Now, my question is, does Jay have a radar and you're... I drive down the street. All of our other neighbors, well, not all of them, but the ones that live on our street drive down 25. You can see the cars that are going 25. The cars that are going faster, especially when the guy scoops in and then you hear him accelerate in his truck. Now, is that true? Oh, you do not. Your tires are grinding gravel. See, that's just crap. Now you're making stuff up? Yeah, I'm making stuff up. See, you are an angel. But I think no matter what... Can you say something here? Can I say something? Please. By the time I get to that street, and I'm close to home, all right?
I've worked all day. I want to get home. I want to see my family and take a load off and relax. See, here's the thing, Jay. I don't work four hours a day in that hangout. Wow! I wish I worked four hours a day. Oh, my gosh. If you want to take this up with me, why don't you get on the radio? Why don't you get on this time? How about yesterday whenever I tried to get you to stop and you just kept going? Yeah. Dude, I was ready to go yesterday. Why didn't you just stop? Just stop. Hey. You know exactly where I am. You shouldn't be fighting. You know what? But you don't get physical. I bet he learns to go down another street. No, it shouldn't be like that. It shouldn't be that you guys are fighting. It shouldn't be that you're getting physical. Yeah, you're threatening my child's life. You are threatening my son's life. When there's kids involved, man, you just slow down. You are a dirtbag. I agree. You slow down. I agree. I agree. It doesn't matter. It's a child. There are some young, young kids out there. Chris, I think that everybody agrees that it would be a good idea to slow down. Speed limit or not, you should slow down lower than the speed limit. And there's plenty of room to get around him. He's not trashing you. I'm about to now. I know.
You sound like a real level-headed fellow. You're trashing Jay even worse, Chris. You sound like a real level-headed fellow. You only work for four hours, which, by the way, is untrue, so maybe get your facts straight. But Jay's just trying to protect his... Four hours and 15 minutes every day. Every single day. Period. I can't help it if I've got a good job and you've got to go to the dump to work. Oh my gosh. Jay, if you're not careful, Mr. Ken... R. Layton is going to put you in the reader, my friend. Yeah. Well, listen, if he took that, is your issue, I guess your issue is twofold, Chris. One, your issue is the cone, and two, your issue is trashing you on the radio, which, by the way, I think you have every right to defend yourself, and that's why you're on. Absolutely. I appreciate that. But is your issue the cone and him trashing you on the air? Is that your deal? The thing is, I'm not going that fast. He makes it sound like I'm out to kill his kids, which I'm not. I have kids, too. I don't have them play in the street. I'm smart enough that they're not playing in the street. Really? Kids play in the street. You don't think it's okay for kids to be able to play in front of their house? Well, no. Why aren't they playing in the yard? Why aren't they playing on the ground? See, I don't have an issue with that. They're probably going skateboards and stuff. Sienna and Jay and Mikey.
When I was a kid, we played home run derby in the street every day. And so did we. But here's the caveat to that. When we saw a car coming, we went to the yard. I'm sure they do too. It's hard to get to the yard with him coming down as fast as he is. He would have to be going like 60. Oh, my gosh. I'm sure they're getting out of the road. Sometimes it takes a while to get your stuff. See in the Millennium Falcon? I mean, how's he going so fast? Jay, is there cars that constantly go back and forth on the road, or is it just like during rush hour? My street is out of the way. Yeah. He's going out of his way to go down my street, by the way. It's in a neighborhood. Jay's curious. Jay's curious. I'm ready to shake somebody. Hey, listen. No fight. Chris. Chris. Yeah. I think if we could do this, it would probably help a lot. If we could agree on this, and I don't think you'd have a problem with this as a rational adult, that you agree to drive slower. Now, I understand what you're saying about that you don't feel that you're speeding, but how about we agree you drive slower, and Jay, how about you agree to give him that opportunity?
Let that, you know. Absolutely. And so that there is a little bit of peace between you guys. Absolutely, 100%. Is that cool, Chris? And I'll tell the kids to get out of the street when you're coming down. I'll say, hey, guys. Let's see the kids move out of the street. Okay. I will try to go a little bit slower. Cool. I love it. Because he's going 25 is not slower. Really? All right, all right, all right. Oh, Jay is... He's not going to trash you on the radio. Be different, be different. I won't trash you on the radio. I don't really think he did in the first place. Thank you, Chris. We appreciate it. Oh, my gosh. Let me tell you something. I've seen Jay wound up. That's as wound up as I've seen him. Yeah, for sure. Holy cow. I'll tell you what. Through my neighborhood, I go 25, and then if I see...
Even people walking, even adults walking, it's too fast to be going 25 past somebody. And isn't it like when you're in your neighborhood, don't you want to like wave to people and say hi? This should be interesting, guys. And I do agree. You should be able to wave and say hi, but I also believe that you should, you know. Kind of make your way onto the sidewalk when there's a car coming. M1 Chris is from Oceanside. Another crew. Chris is from Oceanside and believes that it is Camp J, and he's a proud owner himself of two orange cones. But then we have M1 Delilah from San Diego. Are you there, Delilah? I think you got me. Oh, wait a minute. Delia? Is it Delia? Delia? Hello? Yeah, go ahead. My name's Delilah. Okay, and you believe that cones are a bad idea. Yeah, I can hear you. You believe cones are a bad idea and that they're a hazard, right? Cones are a hazard. They're a hazard, and that's all there is to it. They're a hazard when I'm driving through. I like to cut through that street as well because it's a shorter way to get to work, and it's a hazard because when you are driving, you're not always looking at the road.
When you're driving and you see a cone just pop up, you see this big orange cone, and it freaks me out, and I almost swerve into it. So if Jay's worried about his kids, I think he should be more worried about someone crashing into you. Yeah, cones don't just pop up out of nowhere. You know, they're serving brewed decaf now as well, just FYI. I'm going to give Delilah a chance because, Delilah, I understand what you're saying. If you're not expecting to see an orange cone on a street that doesn't usually have an orange cone, it can be. Kind of off-putting, dangerous, surprise. What if that cone was a kid? Yeah. The kid shouldn't be sitting where the cone is. He shouldn't be, but sometimes kids and pets... What if he's crossing the street? No, the kid's crossing the street. He should be crossing... I think that maybe... Let me tell you. I believe in children. I believe that they are the future. And they should not be somewhere where it's dangerous, where they're going to get hurt, where they're going to get in trouble. And so, Jay, maybe he needs to get leashes. Maybe he needs to put them in the backyard. Maybe he needs to... Oh, my gosh. Hang on. Are they selling crazy somewhere today? Oh, my gosh. We're all stucked up here. Delilah. Delilah. Delilah. Delilah. Do I know this person? Delilah. Delilah. Delilah. I feel like you're trashing me on the radio. No, no, no. No one's trashing anyone. We're all friends. I understand where Chris is coming from. I work five hours a day.
And it's sometimes I'm late to work and I got to put my makeup on in the car. Oh, boy. And so. Go ahead. Go ahead. I heard Oprah say no texting. I understand. I don't text on the road. But sometimes I'm late. I need my sleep and I have to sleep in. And so I don't want to be surprised by cones or kids or anything in the street. I agree with you. All I'm trying to say is that I thought it was a little strange that you said that we should put our kids on leashes. You know, I do believe that. Strange. Why is that strange? Don't you see kids on leashes at Disneyland? Of course. Of course I do. Delilah. Everybody has their own opinion. And I respect that. I respect that. I respect you. I respect Chris. I respect Jay. I respect you. I do. I'm just saying. I think it's irrational to say that we put our children on leashes. Maybe you're right. Maybe I am right. Maybe I am right.
I'm thinking more of self-control for children. And I think those leashes at Disneyland are a good idea. And I just, I'm a little fired up. A lot. Listen to my voice, it's my disguise. It certainly is. I'm by your side. I can't even breathe right now. What is happening? What is happening to me? Oh my God. I just don't think kids should be playing in the street. That's all I'm saying. Thank you, Delilah. That's a wonderful point. All right. Thank you. I have to go. I gotta go. I gotta go. I gotta go. Hey there, Delilah. I know times are getting hard, but just believe me, girl, someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar. Is this real life? That's what the kid is saying when you're trying to put a leash on him. I had a blanket over my head. Oh, my God. Oh, my. I would say that that was...
Probably one of the stranger moments that we've had. Amazing. We need to just get her number, call her all the time. I just want to say, I was on board with some of the stuff that Delilah was saying. But I don't think that her needing to put her makeup on in the car... She has to sleep in. She'd be a valid reason. She's tired. She'd be a valid reason of why she... I'm trying to do heroin. As I drive. I'm trying to do heroin as I'm driving. And do you know how hard it is to heat a spoon with... A lighter. If there's a cone in the road, I'm going to not see the cone while I'm heating the spoon. Then what? I'll spill my smack everywhere. I'll throw my smack all over the windshield. I'm looking at the windshield. Yeah, you want me snorting the windshield? Putting on makeup is more important than the kids playing in the street. We've come to a point in our revolution as a society where
a woman cannot put her makeup on at 40 miles an hour without having to dodge cones in the road. Through a busy residential... Since when can a woman not drive through a busy residential neighborhood and put makeup on? What the hell are we coming to? That's where we are as a society. I'm moving to friggin' France. Yeah, where I can peacefully drive through a busy... Children-infested neighborhood. Schoolyard. Schoolyard. Where I can drive through a schoolyard at 40 miles an hour putting on my makeup. I think that she shares some of the views that Sandra Rossi does. Yes, she does. I support children. Children. Children are the future. Oh, my gosh. Children are our future. That was great. Put them on a leash. Keep them tethered to your home if you can. Yeah. Yeah. I think I'm imagining Jay putting a leash on Jasper. Yeah, Jasper. Easy, boy. Easy. He's seven years old. How about a brindle that you use on a horse? Yeah. Right in his teeth. Whoa, Jasper. Whoa. Easy, boy. Easy, boy. Get back in the yard. Holy God. Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my God. Daddy, I'm just trying to play soccer. We have on the line right now. When we come back from break, we're going to be talking to John, the guy that caused, John Tyner, the guy that caused all of this stuff at the airport, going through security, going through the x-ray. He's the man that said, if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested. He's on the line right now, and we will talk to him on the Mikey Show next. Don't go away. Sonny from P.O.D. is different. Ryan Matthews of the San Diego Chargers is different. Keith Bell, closer for the San Diego Padres, is different. You want to be different? BeDifferentPact.com. It'll explain everything. You're starting to see black wristbands around town. And part of the reason that you are...
is because of this movement, Be Different. It's a movement of kindness. It's a movement of love. It's a movement of not reaching down to the deeper part of our nature, but instead deciding to do something kind, to open a door, to offer a kind word or a loving word. I got to admit, Jay and Chris were both different. I thought it was cool, man. They agreed to kind of be cool to each other, and I liked it. BeDifferentPack.com. Talked to Heath Bell the other day, and he said, he goes, yeah, he goes, it's a trip, man. He goes, me and my wife have been wearing the Be Different bracelets. And he said, and he goes, Sunday morning I had breakfast with this band called Cutlass. They're a Christian band.
He goes, and a couple of the dudes had them on. I'm like, where'd you get those? And I just started laughing. Yeah, it's awesome. He had breakfast with them on Sunday, the Sunday after they were in the studio. That's so great. I'm like, are you kidding me right now? He's like, no. He's like, you know them? I'm like, yeah, they're in the studio on Friday. He's like, no. Yeah. No. And you were like, yes. And I was like, yeah. And he was like, no way. And we were both like, whoa. Crazy. I was like, what a spell world, dude. And I was like, get out. Get out. I'm going to go. I'm going to go to the bathroom. It's totally tubular. All right, so let me play for you the audio that was recorded by John Tyner at the airport. I'm going to be doing a standard pat down on you today, using my hands going like this. All right. Also, we're going to be doing a groin check. That means I'm going to place my hand on your hip, the other hand on your inner thigh, slowly go up and slide down. Okay. We're going to do that two times in the front and two times in the back. All right. And if you'd like to grab a skinny, we can make that available for you also. We could do that out here, but if you touch my junk, I'm going to have you arrested.
John Tyner is on the phone with us right now. John, how are you? I'm good. How are you guys? I'm good. So as you hear that audio played back now for probably the 900th time, you know. I think that's an underestimate probably. Yeah, probably. But what gave you the idea to start recording in the first place? And what did you record on? I recorded on an iPhone. You recorded on an iPhone. Just with the app that comes with the iPhone, the recorder that comes with the iPhone? No, I have my iPhone on Jailbroken, and there's an app called PsyCarter available on the Jailbroken app store. I'm only writing this down because the quality is broadcast quality. What's it called? Tell me again. In all honesty, I actually meant to email the author of that app and be like, this thing is awesome and I just haven't had a chance to yet. What is it called? C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R. C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R. C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R. C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R. C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R. C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R. C-Y-C-O-R-D-E-R.
Quarter. Like Cy Young. Yeah, Cy Young. There you go. Cy Quarter. When you said that, Mike grabbed a pen so quick. Yeah, because it's cat-like reflexes. Listen, the quality of the recording is amazing. Okay, so what made you decide to start recording in the first place? Well, I got in line for the metal detector, but I knew that there was still a possibility that they would pull me out of line and ask me to go through this x-ray machine. When you decided that you were going to start to tape at that point, did you already have it in your head that you were going to use the phrase, if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested? Because you laugh after you say it, which sort of, you know, it would sort of... Makes us think that you, well, you obviously thought it was funny. Be funny because I'm sure that those guys aren't used to having people stand up to them. So I didn't want that situation to get out of control and end up, you know, down on the floor with some agent's knee in my back. Right. But you started to tape, just so that I'm clear on this, you started to tape in the first place because you wanted to have a record of the interaction that would take place. Why did you want a record of it? Because I've read stories and heard stories of people who did stand up to the TSA.
They've got awful stories about being mistreated or otherwise. I mean, there's a story about a guy who works with Campaign for Liberty who is carrying a large amount of cash through the airport, and they pulled him aside and interrogated him for half an hour just because he was carrying more money than they thought was necessary. Okay, we're talking to John Tyner, who has made worldwide news because here at Limburg Field, he's from Oceanside, but here at Limburg Field as he was flying out of town, he didn't want to go through the x-ray machine. Don't blame him, by the way. I don't want to go through him. And the reason that I don't want to go through him is the same reason that John doesn't want to go through him. I don't want people to see me naked, and you can. I mean, we've seen what these x-rays look like. You can see every... In my case, minute detail. And, you know, it's not necessary. And the only thing that I wondered, though, John, was, you know, what was your issue with being padded down? And maybe you didn't have an issue. No, I had an issue with that, too. I mean, I didn't want to be padded down for the same reason that I didn't want to go through the scanner. You know, I don't want some random stranger touching my groin.
Okay. And like I told the guy, I said, I have no problem being patted down, but I don't want you touching my junk. Well, now, wait a minute. Now, your junk is different than what he described because what he said was he was going to put one hand on your hip, the other on your inner thigh, and that he was going to feel your inner thigh, which, you know, you know that that could be a place that somebody would have explosives or something like that. So where, you know, where did you think that, you know, it's not like he's going to start fondling the boys, bro. Well, the stories of that having happened. You know, I mean, the gentleman certainly could have just said, hey, look, you know, you can spread your legs out as far as you want and I'll do my best not to touch your junk. I mean, he certainly could have gone that route and we could have tried to just work it out there on the spot. But that's not what happened. Now, the recording stops when he calls over a supervisor. So tell us what actually happened next since it's not on the recording.
I was going to say, actually, it is on the recording on YouTube. There's about 20 minutes worth of recording. Oh, okay. All the way up until they escort me out to the ticketing area. Oh, my gosh. Okay, I didn't know that. Okay, so fill us in, John. What happened next? So he called over his supervisor, and she arrived after about 30 seconds or a minute or so. And she explained to me that, you know, she explained the pat down again, and she said, you have two options. You can either be patted down or you can not fly today. And I told her that I didn't think that would amounted to a sexual assault. should be a condition of my flying. Now, wait a minute, John. Now, do you genuinely feel that a man putting his hand on your hip and feeling the inside of your thigh is a tantamount to sexual assault? It's something I was uncomfortable with, and I was trying to make clear to them that I was very uncomfortable with. You know, it's been explained to me since the incident that sexual assault actually implies, you know, that the party doing the assault is going to receive some kind of sexual gratification from having done that. And I certainly didn't intend to imply, you know, like I said, I wasn't aware of the legal definition, and I didn't mean to imply that this guy gets any kind of satisfaction out of, you know, patting people down all day long. Yeah, and I agree. But the definition of assault is putting your hands on somebody who doesn't want you to do so. So, I mean, at the minimum, it would have been an assault had I not consented to it. Now, I'm a word guy. I love words. If that's the case, and I've got a...
here right now. It says assault is a verb. Make a physical attack on is the definition that I see. The next definition is a physical attack. A concerted attempt to do something demanding. I don't know, John. It seems to a lot of folks like this is a stretch to say that this would be assault. But I understand you didn't want to be felt in an area of your body that you felt was private. Okay, so you were given these two options. She said you can either allow us to pat you down or what? Or I wouldn't be flying. Essentially, I would be escorted out of the airport. And then you said what you said. And what happened next? After I said what I said, she offered to get her supervisor involved. Oh, wow. So he came over, and he never actually talked to me. You can't hear him on the tape at all. And I don't know what conversation took place between he and her. But eventually he said the same thing. You know, he can either be patted down or he can be escorted out. And I told them that I wasn't going to be patted down. So they took a report, and then they had Harbor Police escort me out to the ticketing area. Okay. Now, John, where were you flying to?
That flight was going to go to Dallas-Fort Worth, and my final destination was South Dakota. Okay, and you were going to go hunting, right? Yes. Okay. Now, at any point during this thing, are you ever thinking to yourself, well, I know that I'm not going to get to go hunting, but I will probably make local or national news based on... what's happening right now, and I will in fact get my 15 minutes of fame. Did that ever occur to you? 15 minutes of fame never really occurred to me. After I left the airport, I was threatened with a federal lawsuit and a $10,000 fine. So my main motivation of getting the story out to the local news outlets was to try and dissuade the government from assessing me a huge fine. I figured if this thing got some publicity, then it might be bad for them to try and... come after me for $10,000. So that was my main motivation. But you can, John, I'm sure that you can appreciate that there may be people listening that think that this may have been an opportunity for you to enjoy your 15 minutes of fame and actually get some, you know, publicity from it. And also, I was just... Wait a minute, Sienna's got a question for you. Go ahead, John. To be perfectly honest with me, I'm happy to hang up the phone and have everybody stop calling me. You know, I'm not interested in fame.
I think what the TSA is doing is awful and arguably unconstitutional. But if people don't care about this story and they want to stop calling me, I'm happy to go right back to about my way. Not me. I'm very interested in your story. I'm very interested in you, honestly. I mean, I had my producer, Jay, get a hold of you because of how fascinating I thought that it was. And it's fascinating to me, our culture right now. Our culture is just, it's in a very interesting place right now. So they escorted you to the ticket area, and then what happened after the ticket area? Did they leave you and let you walk out? They escorted me. You know how there's the exit aisle, and when you get to the end of the aisle, there's always a TSA agent standing right there to make sure you don't try and come in through the exit. So Harbor Police escorted me up to that point and then let me go. He walked back into the screening area, and I walked out into the ticketing area. I walked over to the American Airlines counter and asked them if they would refund my ticket, and they were gracious enough to refund the full price of my ticket. Wow. So that took a few minutes, but then on my way out of the airport, I was approached by the supervisor who was in the suit in the screening area, the harbor police officer who had escorted me out, and some new gentleman who identified himself as TSA also. And that gentleman told me that I would have to return to the screening area and finish being screened before I would be allowed to leave the airport. Okay.
I told him that I thought that that was ridiculous. You know, I no longer had a ticket. I wasn't going to be flying. I just wanted to go home. And there seemed to be no reason for me to be screened as a condition of leaving the airport. What was their response to that? Well, he told me that there is a federal law that says that it is illegal once you start the screening process to not finish it. And so if I did not go back and finish the process, then I would be subject to a civil lawsuit and a $10,000 fine. Were you at that point still recording? Well, I turned off the recorder because I had gone over to the ticket counter, and so him and I had a conversation for three or four minutes before I turned the recorder back on. After it became clear that neither one of us was willing to budge on their stance, him and the lower-level supervisor and the Harvard Police all walked about 30 feet away from me and started talking amongst themselves, and that's when I restarted the camera. Okay, and so when that happened, did you finally agree to go back in and be completely screened, or did they give in and let you go home? No, he came back to me after they had finished talking amongst themselves and started asking me for information, like my phone number and my name and all that kind of stuff, all of which I refused to give him because I told him that he already had all of my information in the report that they had taken back in the screening area. And he kept telling me that he was just trying to help, and the more I cooperate, the better it would be for me when they sue me.
And, you know, him and I got into a little argument about that, and all of this part of the conversation is all captured on video. Okay. And I eventually told him, you know, he eventually said, we're going to sue you, and I told him, I'll see you in court, and walked out of the airport. Okay, and at what point did you call, and you can hear his phone is busy. He's getting calls. At what point did you alert news agencies? Well, when I got home, the first thing I did was sit down and write all this up on my blog because I thought, well, if there's going to be a federal case against me, I need to put my side of the story down on paper as quickly as possible before I start to forget what happened because I had no idea whether my camera captured the audio or not. I had no idea how good that app was. I'd never really used it for anything before. Now, John, when you say, and we're talking to John Tyner, the guy that was at the airport that refused the body scan, got in trouble for it. John, you say that you write a blog. Who is the blog for? I think up until Saturday morning, it had like 200 or 300 hits all time. Right. Yeah. And so you put it on your blog, and then, again, what happened next? You put it where? Well, I put it up on the blog, and then we sent it to some local news outlets, and the story just took off.
Wow. Well, it certainly has blown up into a big story. And, John, you know, we appreciate the time. Woods, did you have a question? Yeah, just real quick, John. And, you know, I took the stance when I first heard the story of, man, I don't agree with what you did. And I'll say that just because at the airport, I just am, in my opinion, you got to follow the rules. Now, I read your blog. I read your blog last night. thousands of hits you got, the majority, and I mean the vast majority, are on your side, calling you a hero, you know, a civil liberties crusader. How do you feel about that, man? Do you think you're a hero? I mean, I did what I thought was right when I was there, and you can hear me on the tape telling that to my father-in-law. He's like, you know, there's no need for you to do this, and I basically told him, you know, if I don't... you know, nobody's going to. John, did you just really want to get out of that hunting trip, my man, with your father-in-law? I've had people ask me that. No, actually, I really wanted to go. I just felt very strongly about, you know, my rights, you know, about not being viewed naked and not being groomed by some random stranger. L-O-B. Are you generally, even before this happened, were you pretty well involved in the civil liberties and things like that?
Aside from what I write on my blog, absolutely not. I'm not politically active at all. Nice. There it is. He sounds like a smart guy and a sharp guy. All spoken. Yeah, very well spoken. Before I go, I hate to do the self-promotion, but I don't know which one of you was saying you disagreed with me, but I would invite you to go back to the blog and read the post I put up early this morning. Okay, I will. That was me. That was Woods. That was me. Hey, John, this is Jay. I had a question for you. Do you think you're going to fly anytime soon? Because, I mean, you've got to be red flagged. I'm planning on it, and like I said, I generally only fly maybe once, maybe twice a year, and so I don't intend to fly. I figure, you know, the one trip we take a year, if we have to, maybe we'll take a train or just drive it. Wow. That is so crazy. Did your father-in-law still go on the trip? He did. Him and my brother-in-law both went on the trip. Did they kill anything? They said they saw a jackrabbit at one point, and I think the last day they were out there, they did finally manage to find four pheasants. They're like, damn it, John. Do you have any of the meat? Because I love pheasant. We'll see if they can get that type of security. Thank you. Thank you. All right, John Tyner, thanks for joining us, man. We appreciate it. Glad to do it. Thanks, John. Bye. Yeah, you know, personally, I feel like, you know, listen, if you're going to start recording something, you're recording for a reason. And especially if you have that sort of mindset of like, you know, you can't get into my civil liberties and, you know, you have that mindset.
and you're recording, you know, that's what's going to happen. And it seems like all along the way, there was a sort of resistance to the authority, which if that's the way you roll, that's the way you roll. You know, I personally take a different tact. My tact is authority's authority. I respect it. And I go, hey, listen, I have a feeling that for the most part, TSA workers in the United States are trying to protect us. I don't feel that for the most part, TSA workers are out there trying to assault me, feel my junk, or steal my civil liberties. I think they're trying to protect us from people flying planes into buildings, but to each their own. Well, he's made a choice now. I mean, he's no longer going to fly, and it comes with consequences, and he took the consequence, you know? So, have fun on Amtrak. There was quite a moment yesterday on the Today Show when a guy from Australia, he's a chef, he's very famous, a guy from Australia, he called someone a nagger and caused a bit of confusion.
And it's quite sensational. Oh, wow. And you'll hear it. And you'll hear it. And you'll hear it. Yeah, so this Australian guy, he's a chef. And he said the word nagger. And it so reminded me of the thing from South Park. Oh, my gosh. That was the best episode. It's the only South Park I've ever seen. honestly yeah and i fell out of my chair oh i don't even know if we can tell it although maybe after you hear this you go well maybe you can you can there's a way um but anyway the guy we're talking about his name is curtis stone and he's a chef and uh here's what happened
Here's a good question from Elena from Facebook. Why does my husband cook one dinner a year and clean the house twice a year and feel that he can tell everyone that we share the chores? This woman is a nagger. Wow. A guest? Somebody on today's show? I don't know. Was it Al? I don't know. No, it wasn't. Are you sure? I'm positive. I understood him. There must have been some faces in there that were going, what did he say? What did he say? Yeah, I understood him too, but. Somebody must have gotten blank face or when somebody curses on the air, a woods scream maybe. Yeah. Yeah. It's funny. It is funny. Oh, it's hysterical. It's very funny. Yeah. It's just like the South Park thing.
The word of the day today is frisbee. When you hear me say frisbee, I haven't said it yet, so when I weave that into a sentence, Caller 9 will get a Mikey Show t-shirt. They're brand new. A pair of sunglasses from Anarchy. And you'll be qualified for a two-night stay at Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin. And a $50 gift card. That's worth $500, that thing. World-class entertainment. Really good food there. It's really incredible restaurants. And you get to go to Rage at the River Off-Road Racing. It's going to be cool. So, check it out. And, again, it'll happen within the next half hour. Did you... What? What? What? Just say it now. Sienna's gone. Oh, she is. Where'd she go, Mikey? She had to... Nope. She's not smoking cat crack. Yes. I love this song. I want to squeeze them. Well, that's because you have big jugs. Such a jam. Man, let it roll. Jam. It's a remix. It's a remix. It's a mashup.
I was trying to think of a hand signal for pump, and I couldn't think of anything other than fake squeeze my boon. Yeah, I didn't get it. That's all right. Yeah, we play that song every morning about this time because Sienna has to pump. They get real full. Yeah. She needs to pump. Yeah, she has to. She likes to pump. L.O.B. Not everybody knows, by the way, about LOB's BFMC. Yeah, her new old boyfriend, Matt Commerce. Yeah, and I realize that sometimes because people will still say, well, Lauren's single. And I'll go, ah, ah, ah. I like this bit, the N-O-B-F-M-C. I know. He's the new old boyfriend, Matt Commerce. The N-O-B-F-M-C. Wow, that's a mouthful. But she'll say, you know, Lauren will say, well, you know.
He's not my boyfriend. Well, he's my boyfriend, but he's... He's not my boyfriend. He's not my boyfriend, but he's my boyfriend. The way that I file is single. Yeah. Is that right? No way. It's the way I file. Yes, because you're not married. That's right. Right. You're not married. Which means... Which means you're single. But you do have a boyfriend. Technically. Yeah! But not really. But we are together. But we're not together. Yeah. Well, you know, my deal was... It seems like the two of these kids are in love. They've been together long enough. What's long enough, Mike? I don't know. A couple, two, three years. Wait, wait, wait. I'm going to write it down. Write it down. Write down the rules. Number? A couple, two, three years. Couple? A couple, two, three years. Two, three? Two dash, is there a hyphen in between two and three? Couple two three, yeah. Two three years, guys. And let's see. That's it. That's it? That's it. Couple two three years, you know? She's got the rule book now. If you count all the breakups, then I don't know where we're at. Yeah. Well, and here's the thing. BFMC, he's a sharp guy. Guy plays guitar. Sharp. Sure is. You know? That makes my mouth water. You're out there doing your thing. A million bucks that she was drinking.
And didn't know what she was thinking. I think she missed her BFMC. She shouldn't take so many roofies. Sounds like she was feeling frisky. There's no way she could foresee that if she's in love and Matt's in love, she'd fall in love. Maybe married love. Not to rub some salt on an open wound. But I think that Matt ought to marry you six feet tall. Oh, there it is, ladies and gentlemen. Now listen, you guys do what? You crazy kids do. It's a couple of crazy kids. It's a couple of crazy kids, man. Just making love real sweetly. No. Knocking boots. Just in love. They're just in love. Abstaining. Hey, everybody! We're all gonna get late! It's my favorite L.O.P. laugh. It's the...
It's not funny. It's funny. It's not funny. It's funny. It's not funny. It's funny. 570-1949. Oh, it's hot in here. You guys want to do a kazoo that tune? Oh, boy. Yes, so much. Where's my kazoo? Sienna is so bummed. No, I got her one. You got her a kazoo? I got one. I take care of my girl. It's my first time ever playing. And you got her a kazoo. 570-1949 is our number. Sorry, Todd. Give us a call. And what can they win? They can win. We're going to give them tickets to see the movie Faster, the AMC movie Faster, starring Dwayne Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton. That actually looks like the first serious movie he's doing. Dwayne Johnson, for those of you who don't know, is The Rock. Maybe don't be Dwayne. Just be The Rock? Maybe don't be The Rock, but maybe be like... D. Johnson? Yeah, maybe be like Brad Johnson. Something like that. Dwayne. Dwayne's the guy you went to high school with. Dwayne was one of my best friends' fake ID that had a mustache. I think of Dwayne as a football player. I think of a mullet-headed Camaro driving guy with a mustache. Dwayne Wade, basketball player? Dwayne the bathtub because we're de-wounding. Alright. De-wounding. Alright, you ready to do this? Let's do it.
M1 Jaime from San Marcos. Is it Jaime? Yeah. How you doing, buddy? Good, great. Just driving my wife to work. All right, cool. I'm going to start us off today. You just have to identify in 30 seconds or less the song that I'm playing. You can interrupt at any time if you know what it is, okay? All right. Here we go. All I need is title or artist. It was Metallica, Sad But True. Yep. That's pretty good. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Sorry about that, dude. Sorry. All right. Next up. M1 Jose from Spring Valley. You there? Doing good. Are you ready to do... That lady was as for real as it gets. Crazy. As for real as it gets. A little crazy caller earlier in the show. Yeah. Are you ready to do this, Jose?
As ready as I'll ever be. Okay. Woods is going to play one for you. Jay, it starts right at the beginning, right? Yes. Okay. Let me give you the chorus. Let me give you the chorus. Oh, wow. He's swooning. He's actually swooning back and forth. Eyes closed. He's making out with his kazoo. Yeah, he's Frenching the kazoo. M1, Jose, can you give me title or artist? Oh, Jose. No way. You are not straight. No. Hand in your man card. Nope. You are not straight. Woods, can I ask you a question? Yeah. About a year ago, did you ever suspect that one year later that your job would be playing Taylor Swift songs on a kazoo? Never in a million years. Man. See, I just...
I just can't imagine you at your last job not thinking to yourself, you know what, about a year from now, hopefully I'll be playing Taylor Swift on Kazoo. Yeah, one can only hope. One can only dream. Congratulations, Jose. You are a winner. No, I'm not. Yes. We're all losing. Hang on. You're a winner. Don't be embarrassed. You like it. You like it. And when Nick from San Diego, are you there? Yes. All right. Are you ready to do this? Yeah. All right. Up next is L.O.B. Are you ready, L.O.B.? I'm going to switch gears a little bit from Taylor Swift. Yeah, she is. Okay. Here we go. Turn your radio down, bro. Turn your radio down. You know that. Do you give me a title? Come on. M1 Nick, can you give me title or artist on that? No, man. I have no idea. Really? She was gold. That was Nirvana smells like teen spirit. Right, right. Second. It took a second, but I finally got it. Sorry about that. No problem. Sorry about that, Nick. M1 Harold is up next. Harold, are you there? I'm here. Harold, you are going to be listening to the sultry sounds of Sienna. And if you can get this in 30 seconds or less, title or artist, you win. Here we go. Good luck. Harold, can you give me title or artist?
shot in the dark. Justin Bieber, I don't know. A good guess for me. Safe guess. Safe guess, but no, it was actually Britney Spears. Even her kazoo playing is deeper. I blow it like it's a whistle and I'm like, mine doesn't work. Who stepped on a duck? Is it really deeper? Yeah, it is. Mine's like... I can't even get it. I don't know why. Up next is M1 Felipe from Little Italy. Are you there? You better believe it. All right, man. Jay is going to do this for you. Let's do it, Jay. Here we go. All right, Felipe. That was great. Title or artist? Now, that was so awesome, but...
Could I hear that again? Of course you could. Of course you could. Dancing right now. What do you think, Felipe? We have to go with Rick Astley. Yeah! That is right. Good job. Very well done, my friend. Hang on the line. Speaking of Rick Astley, and speaking of Nirvana, when we come back, do we have to take a break or are we good? Yeah, we're late. Yeah, we're late. We need to take a break. Okay, when we come back, You're going to hear a mashup of Smells Like Teen Spirit and that song by Rick Astley. Don't go anywhere. Woods is making fun. No, I'm not. That's awful. You were good. No, I wasn't. Yes, you were. No, I wasn't. You sounded good. Woods. You just forgot the words, pal. He's talking about the FM 94.9 8th anniversary bash. I did. He forgot he was advertising. No, he forgot. He was improvising. I forgot. The first line he goes.
Oh, the video? You guys got the video? It's on the 949 website. Yeah, and I was terrible. You were great. No, I wasn't. You were great. I'm not saying you didn't sound good. You sounded good. You just held your hands over your face, Woods, and said, dude, you forgot the first line. And now we go on the air, and he's like, oh, no, no, no, you were great. Listen. You sounded good, but you forgot the first line. The first line is in your head when you walk on stage. You go, Mama told me, yes, she told me I'd meet girls like you. You sing that over and over all day. It's the first line. Maybe that's what you do. That's what everybody does. I forgot my first backup line as well, even though I'd listened to it 100 times. Well, Mikey tricked us. He kept changing the end a little bit. You sounded good. Your tonality sounded good. Spot on. You came out charging, dude. He did come out of charge and he was getting it. Don't throw Fizbee out of your head. It's www.fm949sd.com. Why don't we take it down? No, we'll let everybody take a look at it. Everybody go take a look and vote. Forward slash photo pages. You did really good. You did good. You sounded good. You sounded like a singer. You just forgot the words. Axl Rose.
No. You didn't really, he didn't forget them and just stand there. He just improvised a little bit. Yeah, you made up. We should play it. Wow. I want to play it. Wow. Oh, God. We could. We need to play the mashup first. We got to play the mashup first. Nirvana. Saved by the bell. KJ. Welcome. Got your back. Nirvana and Rick Astley. Guys. It's great. It's so perfect. Wow. How great would it be to be a band and start playing Nirvana and then have the lead singer start doing Ain't no stranger to love. We're all grown up little kids. And we just love stuff like that. I don't know why we love it so much, but we love it. And it takes talent to be able to do that. Kurt is spinning. Kurt is rolling. That's what I was going to say. Rolling over in his grave. It takes talent, first of all, to be able to go, I can...
Put those two. I can make that work. And then to actually make it work is something completely different. But that is amazing. There's a guy named Party Ben who is like so good at mashups. It's incredible. I love mashups so much. Have you guys heard the shreds? Bands that do the shreds. I'll email them to you tonight. And if you like them, maybe we can play them tomorrow. You're going to die. What is it? When you see them. They slow stuff down. They're hysterical. Hysterical. I'll show you one after the show. The Kings of Leon one, the live one. Oh. It makes it sound like they're playing really bad. It may be better for the Mikey Show fan page on Facebook. Yeah, it's visual. Yeah, you probably need the visual, but they are hysterical. Yeah. You'll die. I like when bands will take songs that are traditionally fast and make them into ballads. Yeah. That I like. I've always enjoyed that. I like Vice Versa, too. Yep. Both. Both are cool. Did Billie Jean. And he slowed it down. He made it into a real slow ballad. Sultry. At a former 28-hour show, I did it with ELO, Don't Bring Me Down. And it was fun. Slow? Yeah, I did it slow. You did it way slow? Yeah. Hillary is in. Hi, guys. What are you doing?
I love the kazoo. I was driving and cracking up at Jay's breakout. I know it. Did you get any of them? I got Nirvana. You got Nirvana. And I got Metallica, actually. I was like, that's a Metallica song, but I couldn't name which one. Didn't get my Taylor Swift, huh? I don't know that song. You do, Hillary. No, she doesn't. I'll make you a mix. You got Britney. I know. I didn't, actually. I know. But as soon as he said it, then I got it. And then, yes, I got Jace. What do you got coming up, Hill? The Postal Service. I grabbed the new Deer Hunter record. I grabbed Bob Marley's Uprising. I'll pick something off that. Mumford & Sons, Presidents of the USA. And I think I'm going to grab Metric on my way back in. So, good stuff. Very nice. She's got something going on that she wants to tell us about. Tonight I'm going to be making a brief appearance at 4th and B for an organization that's very near and dear to my heart for the Special Olympics. They're putting on a benefit concert and a silent auction. It's going to be at 7 o'clock tonight at 4th and B. It's $15 to get in. You can go to the website. You can pay the door. It is a 21 and up event. They're going to be honoring some athletes there and all the proceeds are going to go back to.
The Special Olympics. There's going to be live music and stuff. Yeah, there's live music. It's Freaky Tiki and Old School. I guess there's some local cover bands. That's cool. I couldn't find any webpages or anything like that, websites on them. That's awesome. That's a good cause. All right. Lovely and Talented Hillary is up next, and we will see you tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. The Mikey Show is out. Late.
