The show kicked off with Mikey, Woodsy, Lauren and Jay outlining the upcoming 'embarrassing season' after Thanksgiving and sharing personal cringe stories, including Mikey's flannel‑pants love letter and Jay's accidental sexual comment about his daughter. They then pivoted to holiday food, contrasting a traditional turkey dinner with an Italian‑American feast of manicotti and soup, before discussing the financial impact of the Occupy movement on San Diego taxpayers. Throughout the broadcast they ran recurring bits such as the Smart Guy quiz, the Gobble gobble street interview, and Woods's movie‑line response gag, while also featuring news items like a beached fin whale and a 10‑year‑old boy defending his mother with a BB gun.
What happened, in order
Embarrassing Season
The hosts introduce the concept of an "embarrassing season" that starts the Monday after Thanksgiving, during which they can revisit past embarrassing moments on air.
Flannel Pants Letter
Mikey recounts writing a love letter and poem to a girl he never dated, and how his mother made him flannel pants sized 48 to emulate Eddie Van Halen.
Jay's Daughter Mix‑up
Jay accidentally speaks about his own daughter in a sexual way before realizing it's her, while Woods shares his own teenage letter to a girlfriend.
Italian Thanksgiving
The crew debates an Italian‑American Thanksgiving menu, describing manicotti, soup, and the bird instead of the usual turkey.
Occupy Cost
Woods explains that the Occupy protests in San Diego have cost taxpayers $144,000 in extra police overtime.
Beached Whale
A fin whale washed up on Point Loma is identified, and the hosts discuss what to do with the carcass.
Gobble Gobble Street Interview
L.O.B. goes out asking women to imitate a turkey gobble for a prize, recording enthusiastic responses.
The Town Lines Bit
Woods reveals his new habit of replying to his wife's texts only with lines from the movie *The Town*, which she finds hilarious.

So, today's Wednesday, tomorrow's Thanksgiving, and the beauty of today is the next time we come back on the radio, we will get to play Oh Holy Night, and we will get to do the things that are unmentionable. The unmentionables. Now, Woodsy, I'm afraid I'm going to surprise you with something and tell you about something. Okay. I don't mind surprises. You are going to have a new unmentionable. The poem. The letter. The letter. That you wrote to the girl. In addition to? In addition to. I can handle that. And the reason why is because it's almost like the letter that you wrote to the girl is, it's equal, if not better, it's at least equal to. I am fine with it. Now, if you're wondering, what is Mikey talking about? We as a show, me, Woodsy, L-O-B, and Jay, have certain things that have...
happened over the last couple of years that are so embarrassing to us. They're so embarrassing to us that we tap out and we're like, please don't, don't. It's so embarrassing. It's so embarrassing. And so what we've done is we've said, okay, they'll be off limits except for there's a certain period where they're in season. Oh yeah. And the in season time. This is when you're allowed to shoot. This is embarrassing season. Yes. The embarrassing season begins the Monday after Thanksgiving. And at that point, hunters are allowed out onto the field. And they are allowed to begin in full. Yep. The harvest. And that goes until the day before we get off, or the day we get off the air for the holidays. For the holidays. For Christmas. But up until that point, you can limit out. Have at it. You can limit out. Every day we can do it. Every day. It's going to be legendary. Yes. And we all have different things that are embarrassing to us. L.O.B.'s is really embarrassing. She's singing to her boyfriend. Mine's really embarrassing. I have a...
Letter that I wrote. Your letter is like, it's like apple pie a la mode. It slides down my gullet real good. Well, they're all real. That's the beauty of these things. Oh, wow, Jay. That's the beauty of these things is that they're all real. I really wrote this letter and poem to this girl when I, and I never dated her. I was so obese and so disconnected. My mother made my pants. Out of flannel. Now, I wanted her to make the pants because I saw Eddie Van Halen wear them. And you couldn't just go buy them in a size 48. Right. You know, they didn't make them in a 48. Went up to like 36, 38, maybe. 36, 38, you know. And so there wasn't a lot of 48 30s available. Say, ooh, that hoe is big.
There wasn't a lot of 4830s available out there. And so, you know, my mom and I just went down to Joanne's fabric. Did you get to pick the fabric? Yeah. Yes, I did. What an exciting adventure. How old would you say again? 23. No, no, no. Yeah, 23. Yeah, 23. Identical Eddie Van Halen. No, no, no. That was between 21 and 23. It was between the years of 21 and 23. Oh, my God. Oh, my. Dude, I thought I was cool. Did. I did. I thought I was cool. I thought I was rocking the same pants that Eddie Van Halen wore on stage. You know what the difference is? Yeah, the difference is about 250 pounds. He can shred on guitar. Like, if you could shred on guitar, you would have done okay. I could pull him off. Yeah, I could pull him off. Could you? Well. Maybe. Maybe if I could shred on guitar and I was 250 pounds. Fat boy. Less than I actually was at the time. Ugh, look at how fat you are. Ugh, look at how fat you are. Heard it the first time.
So, anyway, that's what we will have for you. Well, what about Jay's? And then Jay's is him talking about his own daughter in a sexual way because he didn't realize it was his daughter. And then he walked into the room and looked at the screen and went, oh! Almost killed me. Threw my back out. Yeah, because Woods knows what a creep Jay is, so he goes, hey, Jay. He is a creep like I am. And he pointed at his screen, and Jay was like, ooh. Who's that? Mama see you. So we will. Dive into that story. We'll dive into Woods. Woods is my, it's sweet sugar. First of all, you changing your voice to adapt to a teenager. She wasn't a teenager. Because she was attractive. She wasn't a teenager. Yeah, she was. I believe she was 21. Was she 19? No, I believe she was 21. I believe she was not 21. What was she doing on a high school campus? I wasn't on a high school campus. Weren't you? No. Weren't you? This is outside of a... Weren't you? Was outside of... No, I wasn't on a high school campus. All right. I was outside of a grocery store. Now, and then your other deal is a letter that you wrote to a girl when you were how old? I had just moved away from Connecticut. I think I was 17 or 16. She was my girlfriend back in Connecticut. And Woods fancied himself a Lothario for sure. Well, there's no question about that. No question. But in addition to being a Lothario, you fashioned yourself to be...
Quite a very deep-feeling poet. The Poet Laureate. Yes. Beautiful hair. That's right. That is right. M1 Nubian Prince from San Diego. How are you? Good morning, Mikey Shaw. Good morning. Good morning. Hey, I just want to say we... Every time we wake up in the morning at M1, we're just like, this is a new Christmas gift every day. Thank you very much. And also, Mikey, congrats on that R factor. Yeah. Thank you very much. Winner. Winner, winner. That was awesome, dude. Awesome. Thank you. We were soaked about it, man. Won the R factor and the little trophy. Took the little trophy home. Jake was playing with it. And I said, hey, give me that back. Did you take my advice that I gave you yesterday after the show, which was to walk out nude with just the trophy covering your piece and say, hey, babe. To my wife. Yeah. Hey, babe, you want some of this? We have a different dynamic. You do? We have a different dynamic. That would have been my move. That would have been your move. Oh, dude. And it would have worked for you really good. Hey, babe, you want to sleep with the R-Factor winner? And I would have been naked with that thing right there. Right. It would have been a different response if I had done it. That's it?
you know, probably been something very... Jay! No, man! Come on now. Not really necessary after I already said what I said. Gosh, darn. So you just can't help? Gosh. Plus, you don't even know what I have. That got me. So you didn't do that then? No, I didn't. Well... No, I didn't. You're no fun. Well, thank you, Nubian Prince. We love you. Love you. Hey, happy Thanksgiving, guys. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you very much. M1 Diet Cokehead is on the line from Courtney Mesa. How are you, girl? Hey, my baby. Little angel. Hey, let me just say, before you say anything, I got to tell you something, Diet Cokehead. What's that? Woodsy says, before we go on the air this morning, he goes, dude. And he said, your real name? Uh-huh. He goes,
He goes, that broad is one of the funniest broads I have. And I go, oh, yeah. And he told me one of the things that you said, and he was laughing until his face was beet red. And he's like, I got to meet this girl. Was it perhaps when my sister was dragging on my Eagles T-shirt? Yes. And I hit her with a Milan P-word. It's the greatest. Yes, it is. I love all of you all as individuals and a group. Thank you. Thank you. And congratulations on our factor. Thank you very much. But the corpus of my call, corpus, Jay. Corpus. Of my call is to wish my darling, sweetheart, love, M1 Hostel B a very happy birthday. Oh, yeah. There you go. HPD, HP. That's a good friend right there. I love that girl. Thank you. Almost as much as cold Diet Coke. That's right. That's right. And she's listening right now. We wished her a happy birthday on our Facebook. She's one of our major M1s. Big-breasted. Yes, that is a true fact. Very big-breasted. That is a true fact. Well, all I have to say about us big-breasted girls is we don't have to be smart. Thank you very much. Happy Thanksgiving, you guys. Happy Thanksgiving. Love you. Love you. There you go. Gosh, she's something.
570-1949. She's a funny chick, man. She's funny. M1 San Diego from San Diego. Hi. Hey, good morning, Mikey Show. Good morning. Great show. Congratulations on the R-Factor. Thank you very much, bro. It's funny how irony comes full circle and karma goes a long way. I don't go there, but thank you very much. I do appreciate that. No, I want to wish you guys a happy Thanksgiving. Thank you, man. You too. Where are you going? Are you going to be here or are you leaving somewhere? I am actually staying home this time. There you go. Nice. It's going to be nice. It does feel good. There you go. All right. No rain, and everything looks good, man. Have a good day. Thank you very much. We'll see you. By the way, I forgot the word of the day. Today, the word of the day is chocolate. Hello, Bree. And when I say the word chocolate between 9 and 10, call her 9 for a packet ticket to SeaWorld, and that will be really, really good. Delicious. That's right. Let's see. I... We got so much, man. I mean, for the day before Thanksgiving, Ella B. went out and got chicks to gobble. For what? Like you had prizes, right? You had prizes. Theoretically. Theoretically. She went out with a handful of prizes, and she said to ladies on the street, I'll give you the prize, but you have to gobble. Man, I should have got with her. I don't even know. You get it. Gobble. You get it. Oh, wow. You get it. You get it.
Everything has to go down. Everything. Get it. Sorry. Sex and fat. Sex and fat. Sex and fat. Sex and fat. You know tomorrow when Jay has the turkey out on the table and he pulls the drumsticks apart, he's going to go... Who wants the breast? He's like Beavis. Yes. I would like one of his family members to call in and tell us if he's like that at home. Are you like that at home, Jay, or no? Yes. She has a wonderful physique. 5-7-0. They all like to go to his house. Like, I wouldn't want to be there if my dad was that perverted. Oh, I would not. They think it's fun. They grew up with it. I'm sure they did. They did. They're choosing to be around you. Hey, Cam, you want leg? You want brass? Brass? Watch me reach in here and pull these giblets out. Let's see. We've got a few things for you. We've got to talk about Occupy. Should get my dad on the line for it, but did I send you the thing? I didn't get it myself. Sorry, we're going to be a little disoriented today because I was a little bit of a slacker. Yeah. I was a little bit of a slacker today, and I didn't get Ella B, the stuff that she needed as soon as she needed it. Guide to me nine minutes before the show.
Yeah, pull that curtain right back. Yeah. All right, here we go. This is J.R. Martinez beating Rob Kardashian to win Dancing with the Stars last night. Whoopee! Rob and Cheryl. J.R. and Karina, after 10 weeks of competition, the winners and new champions of Dancing with the Stars are... Say it. Just say it. Say it. Say it. Say it. Please say it. Oh, my God. J.R. and Karina. There you go. That's how happy the audience was. They were really happy. So there it is. J.R. Martinez. Here he is. Here's J.R. Martinez talking about his big win. ...since the first time you stepped on this floor. What's going through your mind right now? Oh, man. You know what? First and foremost, I want to thank everybody who voted for us for 10 weeks. You know, thank you, America, for believing in us.
I want to say, you know what? You are amazing, and I'm so grateful that I was able to be a part of your first Mirabal trophy. Thank you very much. Congratulations, Karina. My dad must have been very excited, a Mexican one. Very supportive of the Latino community, your father. I mean, if it's a Mexican, my dad's all in. You know what I mean? Mexican boxer. It could be somebody Mexican on the Food Network. He'll tape it. It's Mexican. What are you going to do? So he liked that guy, Martinez. Let's see. It's Thanksgiving tomorrow, and everybody's getting prepared, including your old Uncle Victor. Yeah. Yeah. It's your Uncle Victor foot. Don't tell me what to eat. Thanksgiving. I don't need people telling me what to eat. Who are you, Jenny? I know how much I can have. Isn't it? And besides, what are you? Look at you. You're fat? Hey, don't tell me how much food I'm piling up. What business is yours, how much I put on me. Hey, and also tell your sister's brother not to bring his dog. I hate the dog. And then also when I make my sandwich tomorrow, I don't want to hear it. Just let me do what I put.
No, he's Italian. Oh, wow. He's Italian. I want to have Thanksgiving with him. I know. I would love to have an Italian Thanksgiving. Can you imagine? You know what those guys eat? You know what they eat? What? They start with manicotti. They got anipas. They have... They don't do turkey? No, hold on. They do a whole manicotti. They do soup. Well, at least on the Sopranos, they do. They have soup. They have anipas. They do manicotti. Then they do the bird. I want that, dude. I know, dude. I want that instead. I grew up with a lot of Italians. I never saw that. You never saw that? If that's authentic Italian, I would be 100% in. Well, it's not authentic Italian because they don't do Thanksgiving in Italy. No, no, no, no, no. But if that's an authentic Italian-American family, if that's what they do, oh, my gosh. Doesn't that sound delicious? Sounds so good. It's better than the seven fishes at Christmas. I'll tell you that. What is that? They do the seven different fishes, different horses. I don't know exactly what they are. Seven different kinds of fish? Uh-huh. Wow. Filth. On Christmas? Uh-huh. Wow. I don't know. Maybe it's good. Filther. No, it's not. No way. Fish. I love fish. There's some of them that are good. A lot of oily ones. Oh. Get. The only place you have fish is in a restaurant. Yep. I don't want anybody's mom making a fish. I like my fish a lot better than what the restaurant is. Oh, L-O-B. Oh, look. I've made salmon.
You can plank cook it. You put it on a plank of wood. I've done that. I've done swordfish on the grill. It's pretty good. Oh, man. Swordfish steaks. My mom would always cook crappie. You know what kind of fish I eat. Crappie in the stove, and it would be butter and pepper and salt. Okay, now wait. Now that's different. That sounds pretty crappie. That's a dead joke. How dare you? That's a good fish. How dare you? It's a great fish. You ever heard of crappie? Yeah, it's white and flaky. We went... One time Jay and Woods and I went golfing and you guys were talking about it. I wouldn't eat it. But I will say this, L.O.B. You would eat it. You'd eat it. Tell you what I would eat. If it's a black pan and it's got butter in the bottom of it and you stick a turd in there, it's probably not that bad. I walked right into it. I walked right into that. Black Friday is, what do you got on Black Friday? I have the schedule. I have Macy's, Best Buy, Kohl's, Target, and the Viejas Outlet Centers are all opening Friday night at midnight. Now, the other ones that are of notable interest are Toys R Us, and they've got something called Door Busters. Have you ever heard about this? I guess it's the reason you get there super early. But Toys R Us is opening at 9 p.m.
Thanksgiving. See, they said they're doing the night before bed. And you could save huge money on the Power Wheels Boss or Power Wheels Barbie car. It's like usually $300, almost $400, and you get it for $199. Dude, now see, that's what I was saying the other day. I was like, do you really want to stand in line? For 50 bucks or something. But, dude, that's legit. I mean, people who want that, that's huge. And JCPenney's has got a free item. It's a Disney snow globe when you walk in there. Anybody goes in. You're going to go at 9 o'clock at night to get a snow globe for free. That one's actually 4 a.m. on Black Friday. All right, yeah. And then Sears is... Are there JB out there? Standing in line for his free snow globe. You can get new jeans there, too, at JCPenney. That's right. Arizona jeans. Sears also opens at 4 a.m. on Black Friday, and their doorbuster is a 50% off Kenmore washer and dryer. It's 50% off a washer and dryer. That is bad off. Yeah. Where? That's at Sears. At what time? 4 a.m. on Black Friday. Kenmore is the best brand. Let me tell you. Right now, I hate our washer and dryer. Yep. I hate it.
It's expensive. So fancy. It's fancy. Front load. They suck. Stupid. 10 more is the best. Exactly. Designed to fail. What? The washers and dryers these days. Yeah. Where our parents had them, where they would last for 40 years. Oh, yeah. Seriously. Now, we had my mom and dad. They gave us theirs when they moved. And it lasted forever. And I bought parts for it and whatever. And then finally, we decided, hey, we're going to step out and get a new one. Yeah. And we did. And it broke. Five times in the first year. Bro, I'd pay extra if it was like my mom and dad's. Yeah, me too. You know, at our home right now, our dryer does not work. It doesn't blow hot air. Are you serious? So when we do laundry, we have to run it like six times. Oh, man. Electric bills through the roof. Bro. I don't pay it. We don't pay it. I know, but you don't. Doesn't that drive you crazy? It drives us insane. You'd do better to take a blow dryer. Oh, yeah. Or we oftentimes put sheets outside. It probably sounds like you just need to light your pilot light. Maybe. I don't know what that means. If that's what it is, that would stink. This whole time, been running it six times. I don't know what that means. It's easy. If it's gas. It's gas. If it's gas, the pilot light's out. How have you not mentioned this to Jay? Or your thermocoupling needs to be replaced. Isolate. How have you not mentioned this to Jay yet? I don't know. You know he'd fix it in two seconds. Yeah, he'd come look at it. I bet your landlord would fix it. I mean, it sounds like a landlord thing.
Let's see. And then the Occupy here in San Diego. Now, this was a movement. It is. No, it is. It is a movement. It is a movement. And let's see. Woods, what is the Occupy movement? It's a bunch of people that are down and they're protesting big business. Okay. Are you sure? So they say. Okay, okay. So I hear. Big business. Big business. Okay, so they are for small business. Yeah. Okay, okay, okay. Allegedly. And anything else? Is that it? High fees at the bank. They don't like high fees at the bank. Yes. Okay. Now, that isn't, by the way, I'm glad they're doing that. That's in opposition to the people that do. Well, maybe you're right, because I love high fees. Yeah, yeah, I love them. Maybe they occupy ATMs instead. Yeah, maybe that. But guess what? What? They've cost us some dough. Yeah, it's going to piss you off. The Occupy people. Oh, yeah. How much? With the extra overtime for the police officers for the beefed-up patrols, it costs $144,000. Yikes. Thank you, Occupy. That's to the San Diego taxpayer. Yeah, yeah. Because of the Occupy people.
They get to them. They can feast. Ringworm and scabies, drugs, rape and defiance. Some go as far as now promising violence. Rioting if they don't get stuff for free. That's what the Occupy protest means to me. Bing bang tents filled with unkempt layabouts. Motivating me by getting handouts from Starbucks on iPhones. Speak of corporate greed. That's what the Occupy protest means to me. Beautiful. It's really gorgeous. Crocheted headwear, real good. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you very much. Rainstorm. That is a rainstorm of applause. Thank you very much.
570-194-9 is our number. And I am excited, man. A butterball turkey costs about 89 cents a pound. That's how much a butterball turkey. Florin loves mic jokes. Now, sometimes they're not blatant mic jokes, but simply by her laughter, she will turn it in to a mic joke. I mean, I haven't even said. All you had to say was butterball. All I had to say was the word. All I had to say. It was the word butterball. She looked, her eyes met mine, and she went, I mean. I was not expecting that. I'm excited, and the next thing you said was a butterball. How dare you? How dare you? How dare you? You know, there's some people out there that want to know exactly how much a butterball costs, and they want to know.
Well, a butterball turkey... Yeah, I'm starving. A butterball turkey is running about 89 cents a pound. She's still laughing at me. Oh, hell. And so depending on how big, you know, your turkey is, you should be paying a lot of money this year in turkey costs because they're so... Oh, my God. Actually... Another debate last night, and somebody said they want to legalize drugs. Okay. It wasn't Jay. Oh. It was a Republican. Mikey. Really. And we'll play you the audio next. 570-1949. This report brought to you by Allstate. Just in time for Thanksgiving, Allstate is giving every driver in America a free lifetime membership and good hands roadside assistance. All you have to do is call. On the 94 in both directions at 30th Street, you've got the left lanes blocked for police activity. And adding to the drive on the 94 westbound, just before the 15, there's a wreck that's clearing up in the center divider. This report is brought to you also by Legoland. Holiday snow days are at Legoland California with real snow and the world's tallest Lego.
Christmas tree. It's a winter wonderland of holiday fun. Visit Legoland.com for details. I'm Barbara Brooks, FM 94.9. We have had enough. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. Things happen. I got diarrhea. Woods. I have two speeds. I have stop and go. Lauren. So everybody knows how I feel about bottled water. I hate it. And Jay. They said there's breastfeeding out there. I was like, I'm in. Check, check. One, two, three, check. On FM 94.9. All right, so let's say that you want to have a website dedicated to... A turkey for Thanksgiving. Go see our boy, Jared. CreateYourDesignOnline.com CreateYourDesignOnline.com I've had a lot of people that will write me and say, who's your guy? Who's your guy? It's Jared at CreateYourDesignOnline.com He's a graphic designer and he's only the best in America. Don't forget, the word of the day is chocolate. And when I say the word chocolate between now...
And 10 o'clock. Just be caller nine. I'll give you a four pack to SeaWorld. Nice day. Oh, it looks like it's going to be beautiful again. Let's see. So what have we got? Oh, the debates last night. The Republican debates. And somebody wants to legalize drugs. And his name is Ron Paul. The drug war was mentioned. I think that's another war we ought to cancel because it is to nobody's benefit. And that's where the violence is coming from. I just wanted you to clarify, when you say cancel the war on drugs, does that mean legalize all these drugs? I think the federal war on drugs is a total failure. You can... You can at least let sick people have marijuana because it's helpful. But compassionate conservatives say, well, we can't do this. We're going to put people who are sick and dying with cancer and they're being helped with marijuana if they have multiple sclerosis. The federal government's going in there and overriding state laws and putting people like that in prison.
Why don't we handle the drugs like we have alcohol? Alcohol is a deadly drug. What about the real deadly drugs are the prescription drugs? They kill a lot more people than the illegal drugs. So the drug war is out of control. I fear the drug war because it undermines our civil liberties. It magnifies our problems on the borders. We spend, like, over the last 40 years, a trillion dollars on this war. And believe me, the kids can still get the drugs. It just hasn't worked. No, he's got a strong opinion. He makes some valid points, too, I think. I got a booty. You know, I do not agree with his politics, but hey, you know, that's what makes us different. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I mean, for real. People that like Ron Paul love Ron Paul. Yes. Love Ron Paul. I'm kind of coming around. I'm about to check him out. Hey, listen, people that love Ron Paul love marijuana. That's a true statement. Is it? No. Oh, that's a great true statement. That's not. Why did I not think of that? Matt's mom loves Ron Paul. She doesn't like marijuana? She's as far as you can get from marijuana as you'll meet. Really? Yeah. All right. I like RuPaul instead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. RuPaul's more my scene. I actually am writing him in. It's more my scene. Yeah. I think this is maybe one of the, I don't know if he's, that's not like a platform he's got. Well, it's part of his platform.
I don't know. It's a pot thing. It's part of his platform. Really? Always? Some chicken wings. Well, they just have some good points. Hey, if they ask him and he answers, it's, you know, everything is a part of your platform if you believe it. Right, right. But I'm saying I don't think that that was like a big thing that he was standing for before and kind of pushing and basing his campaign after. Well, knowing that about him, you know, I'm out. But that's me. Listen, Woods, maybe you're in. Love him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. There are people, you know, you see the signs on the freeways. You know, people put them up on the walkways. As you're driving by, it says Ron Paul. Yes. In spray paint. And it's pushed up against the thing that you drive. Yes. You know? And so, yeah, more power to you. You believe in them, you like them, sweet. Vote for them. Yeah, I'm out on them and I won't. That's his bit. Here's Mitt Romney. Now let's have the candidates introduce themselves to our audience, but we'll keep it very brief. Here's an example of what I'm looking for. I'm Wolf Blitzer, and yes, that's my real name. I'll be your moderator this evening, and I'm happy to welcome each one of you to our debate. I'm Mitt Romney, and yes, Wolf, that's also my first name. And I'm a husband, a father, a grandfather of 16. I love this country very much.
Grandfather is 16. That's a lot of grandkids. I cannot imagine having 16 grandkids. I can't imagine being named Mitt. That's a true statement. Anyway, that was last night. Onward and upward. We have a lot of fun things to do today. By the way, our friend Pilch does a lot of songs for us. You heard him do the Occupy song. Very talented cat and did a little something for us for Thanksgiving as well. Smelled that savory turkey meat in the oven, cooking slow. But what started off ain't smelling so sweet. The further on the cooking goes, it's kind of smelly. Hey, like a chemical fire. Burnt hair yet savory. What the hell could it be? You're left in the bag of guts. Oh, wow. Got it. You're left in the bag of guts. Why did you agree to cook the turkey? You're left in the bag of guts.
Hey, Thanksgiving screwed. You left in the bag of guts. I've done it. Have you done it? Well, Woods, you don't cook turkey. No. I've done it. Yeah, they hide it so well. Why do they put it in there then? For people that want to make stuffing with it. Or giblet gravy. We do. We make giblet gravy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. Gravy, not stuffing. Why can't they put it? Oh, never mind. You know what? Woods, I'll bet, and you too, LLB, I'll bet that you guys, because I didn't, I'll bet that you guys were eating it because your mom. used it, and you didn't even know it. What, giblet gravy? Giblet stuff. Like, my mom would make gravy, and I would, you know, like when I got to be interested. In gravy? No. We know that right out of the womb. When your gravy interest kicked in. When I adopted gravy as a hobby. I heard if you break a bone, it just pours out. When I became a gravest, I started to... You have a cup full of gravy next to you, right? That's your morning coffee. But when I started getting interested in what was going on in there, I was like, what's that? What's that thing that looks like a dong, you know? She goes, it's the neck. I said, oh, I go, of what? Yeah, of what? This is a turkey neck. I go, what is all the other stuff? She goes, that's all the, you know, the innards. Come on. Liver.
And I go, I go, yeah, liver alone. Please. Gizzard is the hardest piece of meat in the entire world. The liver alone. The bear was in heaven yesterday. That's what he got for his dinner. He got the turkey neck and a piece of the liver. He just freaked out. So yeah, she says, oh yeah, that's what I make the gravy with. And I was like, are you kidding? What a feint. I didn't know. I bet a lot of our parents do that. We just didn't know it. It's fantastic. What happens if you leave in the bag of guts and you cook? It just cooks in there. It doesn't do anything, but it just cooks in there. They hide it, just so you know, they hide it under the flap of skin up by the neck, not in the cavity. The flap of skin? There's like a hidey hole up top. It's hidden. Yeah, it's hidden. That's my favorite part of Thanksgiving. You know what I like to do? I like to take the bag out when it's still got ice on it, you know, because it's still frozen a little bit. And I like to just suck on it like a popsicle. Yeah, just giblet popsicle. Yeah, I call it a jibsicle. And I just suck on that thing. Oh, gosh. Kim will say, why are you sucking on that neck? And I say, oh, man. It's my favorite part. Yeah. Every Thanksgiving. My favorite part is that butt.
That little, don't, don't, don't, don't. I mean, come on, dude. Come on, dude. You can't just throw that stuff out there. That's a belt high fastball right there, buddy. Oh, gosh. About 65 miles an hour. Oh, man. That can be very taken out of context. That's good. That's a can. Good. Do you know what I'm talking about, L.O.B.? I don't know. This whole conversation is grossing me out. Come on, come on, come on. Listen to this. Okay. On the bird. This is the best part. My mom calls it the Pope's nose. Oh. The best part of the bird. is the pointy part towards the butt. And it's so crispy, and it's so gristly, and it's so crunchy, and it's full of tender meat and fat, dark meat and fat. And when you bite into it, all of those little pieces just explode in your mouth with just this deliciousness of roasted bird. But it's mostly fat. A little bit of cartilage, and I love to chew on that part. Oh, yeah, me too. Ligaments. I love a good ligament. I love the turkey leg is my bit. L.O.B. looks like she is. Covering ears. Yeah, there's a couple things. One, it's a look of distress. There's a bit of a distress. Okay. Then there's a look of nauseousness. Yep. There's a bit of nauseousness. Then there's a part of her that says, I'll never get those 20 seconds back.
They're gone. They've been used. I'll never have them back again. I couldn't pay you enough, L.O.B., to eat that part of the bird, could I? I feel weak. Just hearing about this. And it's also interesting because my mom calls the end of the bread the Pope's nose. The what? If you have a loaf of bread, the little end. My mom does too. I've never heard that before. Jay, does anybody at your house like that part? Oh, yeah. I mean, we fight over the whole bird. Yeah. It's in our house. You've got to call it. It's like riding shotgun. Really? Oh, yeah. I've got a post nose. I mean, it's already done. It's yours? Yes. We have three birds. We have three, so there's three going around in our house. First one goes on today. Who gets them? I'll get one. Who else likes them? Your son, Finn? Yeah, Finn will love one. And then one of my buddies that comes over. Oh, yeah, dude. I'd have people collect them for me if I could. Oh, wow. Want to play Smart Guy? 570-1949. Call us up right now. What's the prize, Jay? Today's prize is a pair of tickets to the Warren Miller new movie, Like There's No Tomorrow. It's Saturday, December 3rd at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Arts. That's all snowboarding stuff, right? Skiing and snowboarding. Skiing and snowboarding. I know that thing's big. That's huge. That's a popular bit. They're intense. All right. Let's see.
All right, the way that you play smart guy is you're going to pick a person, place, or thing, and you will get seven clues. That's it. Seven clues. If you can't figure out what this thing is within seven clues, we have to execute you. Yes. Yeah. It's a sad thing, especially the day before Thanksgiving and all. But, yeah, you know, we send a guy over. You've got to put a cigarette in your mouth. Blindfold. Yep. Whole bit. Or we can do it, you know, like old yeller style if you want. Yeah. Jail do it. Yeah. We'll do it like that. Give you a choice. Yeah. We walk you out in the woods. Yeah. And then, you know, we tell your family that we're going hunting. Yeah. But you got lost. One last time. One last time. 570-1949. Choose wisely. That's right. Call us right now. We got M1 Peter. From Mira Mesa, you are going to be our first player, and you get to pick a person, a place, or a thing. I'll pick a place. You want a place? You're brave. It's ballsy. You want a place. All right. There is no way I'm going to give you the one that I just pulled because it's very tough. But I'm going to pick something else. Okay, I got it. Are you ready? Yes. All right, here we go. I am a building in North America.
No. George Washington never slept here. White House. What did he say? White House. Oh, my God. Look at this guy. Smart. Wow. Brilliant guy. Oh, my gosh. Smart guy. Genius. Dude, that was good, man. Hang on the line. Two questions. We've said it every single time we play. We go, got to have something extra for people to get it. But then we never do. By the way. The whale that is out in La Jolla that's laying out there? Yeah. They found out it's pregnant. Makes me so shocked. I know. It's sad. Oh, look, they're out there right now with it. Here on scene. This just started a few minutes ago. Whale washed up on Point Loma. What kind of whale?
Fin whale. Fin whale. Fin whale. Fin whale. Fin whale. It's a fin whale. Is what Jay says. Fin whale. Tucked back in this nook here. Oh, tucked back is weird, too, with the whale. I didn't know whales could do that. I didn't either. And just thinking about a whale doing that. How does he do it? The whale's putting lipstick on. It's too stiff. It's a big kimono. How dare you. How dare you both. How dare you both. You're both monsters. I'd mammal me. Oh, yeah. I'd mammal me so hard. No. Are you talking about a freak? Was she like a great big fat porpo? Yeah. They're going to tow it out to the ocean, apparently. It's sad. Yeah. It's crazy. It's sad. They better take it way out there. Because the tides. You know what I mean? Pop it. Oh, Jay, you're such a... Are they going to pop it? I bet they do. Oh, then blow it up. Callus. But that's not callus. It's returning its name. It should be buried in a meadow. No, you're returning it to the sea. I see nothing wrong with that but saying pop it. It's a little callus. It's a little callus, but at the same time, you know, it's a little, you know, true. It's reality. It should be buried under a tree in a meadow somewhere. Really? Yes. I want a well-ribbed boat. What's a well-ribbed boat?
I didn't see it. M1 Bob from Fallbrook. Are you there? Bob, you there? Yeah. All right. What do you want? A person, a place, or a thing? I'll take a thing. All right. What am I? All right. Okay. Now, you're really going to have to think on this one, but it is doable. Okay? It is doable. Here we go. All right. I'm a specific make and model of car. Mercedes. Nope. I was especially popular in the 1960s. Model A Ford. Jay Isbell. No, it is not Jay Isbell. What did you say? Model A Ford. Model A Ford is not correct. I became the world's best-selling automobile. More than 21 million of me were produced. You can pass as many times as you... Okay. My shape is distinctive. Ferdinand Porsche was instrumental in my design. Can you say that again?
Ferdinand Porsche was instrumental in my design. Nah, don't know. And here's your last one. I was produced mainly in Wolfsburg, Germany. BW. On the last question, bro, you got it. Volkswagen Beetle. Hang on the line, okay? Who knew? Did you guys know that 21 million of them were produced? No. It's a lot of punches in the arm for people. Oh, yeah, it is. You bet. Here's some other facts about it. The make means the people's car. And they nicknamed it, obviously, after an insect because that's what it looks like. And it's a V-dub. Wow. Didn't know. M1. Rebecca from Kearney Mesa. Are you there? I am. Good morning. Good morning. Person, place, or thing? Well, since we haven't done this one, we'll go with the person. Person. There you go. You got it.
Now, I'm going to, I'm feeling, feeling in a very giving mood this morning. So I'm going to do, I'm going to go easy on you. Here we go. I am a singer and an actor. Let's go with Beyonce. Nope. I was born in New Jersey in 1915 and died in 1998. I was influenced by Bing Crosby and Billie Holiday. I want to say Frank Sinatra. You would be correct, my guy. Here's my guy. My guy. How about the New Jersey? That's right. Old blue eyes. There you go. Hang on the line. Now it's our turn, and we will play for people. Woodsy, you want to go first? Yeah. All right. You are going to be playing for M1 Sanjaya. Hi, dude. Oh, yeah. Woodsy is playing for you, all right? Yeah. Oh, wow. What? Sanjaya? Who is this? No, wait. I'm sorry. That was Rebecca.
That was Rebecca. Sanjaya. Sanjaya. Are you there, Sanjaya? Yeah. Sorry about that. All right, Woodsy's playing for you, all right? All right, man. All right, hang on, hang on. Woodsy, what do you want? Let's go with a person. All right, you got it. I'm going to go easy on you, too. No, you don't have to. No? No? Oh, boy. Uh-oh. What? What did you wish for? I am in the movie business. Harvey Weinstein. Nope. I'm also, I also own a winery. Ernest Gallo. No. I was born in Detroit. Francis Ford Coppola. Ah, look at you. How dare you do it. Wow. How dare you. And he does it, he does it. Francis Ford Coppola. Don't waste my time. Don't waste my time. M1 Sanjaya, hang on, okay? Rebecca again. Oh, wow.
All right. It's a different person, you dummy. It's M1 Sanjaya. Are you there? I'm sorry. M1 Sanjaya. That's all right, dude. What's one for you? Hang on. Fat fingers. I do. I need a dialing one. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. M1 Christine, are you there? Yes. Hi. Good morning. How are you? Good. How are you? I'm good. L-O-B. is going to be playing for you. Hang on the line. L.O.B., what do you want? Let's do a place. All right. Oh, wow, that's ballsy. You bet it is. Keep it interesting. Those are hard. Those are hard. All right, here we go. They make you look stupid, too, if you don't know your job. They're tough. This one's not. It's medium. Great. I am a famous educational institution. Harvard University. Holy crap!
I'm a smart guy. You're a smart guy. Has it ever been done? I don't think it's ever been done. It's never been. One freaking question. Yeah. One freaking question. That was pretty awesome. Christine, guess what? One and done. One and done. Bonus prize, kiss. Oh, wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow. All the way in. Yeah. Wow, wow. And then from Jay. Wow. Wow. There's a woman who works on the O'Reilly Factor that last night was talking about the incident at UC Davis and said something really stupid. I mean, really stupid. And we will play you that clip coming up. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Text them at 949mikey at gmail.com. Or call Mikey now. of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. You were all excited to share it with us. And I came in here. Excited. Off the air and told you guys about this new song I heard. Yeah. California Love, about 10 years old. Lauren almost peed. Yeah. That's how hard she left. Newsboy, what's going on? Newsboy? Newsboy here. And I've got Copper Thieves in Carlsbad are leaving the entire city in the dark. So far, it's cost the city $40,000. What they're doing is they pull up next to the light pole. Yeah.
They'll clip the wire, connect the wire to the car, and they'll just drive it out. Whoa. Holy cow. The copper is super expensive. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But here's what I don't understand. Because this is a – it's not a new bit. They've been doing this for a while. They usually take it out of people's yards. People have copper in, like, their sprinklers and stuff. And what they were doing is taking it to this place where they can recycle it. But what I don't get is how do you walk in to the recycle place with stuff that – Clearly, it looks stolen. Stolen. Stolen copper. Yeah, they should be able to shut it down pretty easy. The last time it happened, the thieves left a 240-volt live wire exposed. Oh, my gosh. It's all up in the Carlsbad area. Oh, my. Dude, that is gnarly. Woods, what's going on in sports? I'm going to give you your Thanksgiving schedule here in a second, but I wanted to tell you that sports is brought to us today by our friends at Dave and Buster's. Go there and eat, drink, play football. Nice. So tomorrow is Thanksgiving. You're going to have three games you can watch. I'm going to watch every single one of them. I can promise you. Green Bay at Detroit. We'll kick it off. It's going to be 930 here. It will be Miami at Dallas at 115 on CBS. Talk me into that game. That's the only one that I need to be talked into. What?
Miami at the Cowboys. Well, the Cowboys are playing better, and they're playing a lot better, actually. And Miami's actually won three games in a row. You sold me. Yeah. It's going to be interesting. And this guy, Matt Moore, used to play for the Cowboys, so he'll be quarterbacking against them. Also, San Francisco at Baltimore, the Battle of the Harbaugh Brothers. Oh, yeah. That's going to be cool. Yeah, and that's at 520 on the NFL Network. If anybody plays fantasy football, I just want to let people know that Woods tried to trade me a player of his that's injured. Oh. I didn't know. He's actually going to play on Sunday. He's going to play. He's going to play on Sunday. AJ Green. Yep. I didn't know. Did it? I honestly, I had no idea. It's a dirty move. It's a dirty, filthy... I didn't actually propose it. We were spitballing ideas. You did propose. I didn't propose it. You proposed it. On the website. You proposed it. We were just spitballing ideas. While you guys were FaceTiming in bed? Or was this all virtual? That was this morning. Here. Does she just have to Cathy it up every day? Cathy Callout. Cathy Callout. Unbelievable. If you guys don't want it on the air, you should put a caveat out there. Let me tell you something.
The only human beings that knew about that conversation were me, Woods, and that's it. That's it. You let me in on it. I know. Okay. Yesterday, Woods may have FaceTimed me while I was laying in bed with no shirt on. Yeah. Oh. I don't understand the need for you guys to see each other while you talk on the phone. Wouldn't you rather see a human being you're talking to? If I wanted to see them, I'd go see them in person. I'm not going to... That's a sound effect that a fellow that I've known for over a decade and have considered a friend just played from his sound effects machine. In regard to me having my shirt off. If I was laying in bed with my shirt off, I wouldn't pick up a FaceTime. Wouldn't you? But that's because you're a girl. If I was laying there with no pants on, same thing. Well, you know 100% you would if you had no pants on. It's on O'Brien. You're the dirtiest bird. I like my privacy. Well, when it comes to show members, definitely. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't FaceTime with anyone. Well, you don't speak on the telephone with us, you know, either. But yesterday, Woods FaceTimed me. Weird. And we do bits. Come up with some good stuff on there. If you don't know what FaceTime is, it's where you can actually see and talk to the person that you're communicating with.
On your iPhone. On your iPhone, your iPad. Yeah, I was on my way to Chipotle and I stayed in the driveway and smoked a cigarette and talked to my friend Mike. Because he had to. He is a good friend and a lover. I didn't just say that. That's a clip. And it's taken out of context. Of you saying that about Woods. No. Nope. I was not. Yeah, you were referring to Woods. I was not referring to Woods. You said he was a good friend and a lover of baseball. But we cut off the end that said of baseball. Imagine that. I said he's a good friend and a lover of baseball, and it was cut up to make me look like some sort of a Woods pervert. Touch my body. I didn't just sing that. You did at some point. Yes. I did, but not in the context of wanting someone to touch my body. I wish I knew how to quit you. So Woods FaceTimed me, and I did a thing where I put my hand. above my head and then slowly reached my head down onto my forehead and said, what about this? Is it weird that this is not my hand? Is it weird this isn't my hand? And then I started to put my hands maybe in my nose and mouth. Yeah, that's funny. And it made Woods laugh. I guess so. Made him laugh. And that was a private story that no one knew about. It's a private moment. Until LB just shared. Yes.
Huh. It's just mind-melding. Yeah. It's trying to be dynamic. Yeah. Is it wrong if you have anything other than pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving? No. No. No? Pecan pie is a tradition. People do sweet potato pie, apple pie. Apple pie, cherry pie. Cherry pie. Chocolate pie? Oh, yeah. Chocolate pie. I had the first piece of pumpkin pie. Pecan pie last night. Oh, my God. I love pecan pie. Son of a gun. Oh. You know, my friend Heather that came in here and brought, she made fresh pecan pie. Brought it over. That's what they do. Where I live, bro, they go collect the pecans. Big pecans down in Texas. Right from your yard. Yep. So listen to this. This was, real quickly, the O'Reilly factor. The girl's name is Megan Kelly. She was talking about the UC Davis pepper spray incident and said this. First of all, pepper spray. That just burns your eyes, right? Right. I mean, it's like a derivative of actual pepper. It's a food product, essentially. But a lot of experts are looking at that and saying, is that the real deal? Has it been diluted because... Yeah, they should have more of a reaction than that. Yeah, but that's really beside the point. I mean, it was something that was obviously abrasive and intrusive. And they wanted them... Several went to the hospital. Right, they just wanted them to get out of there. They had to explain to Megan that it's not a food product. Oh, boy. It's actually a weapon. So there's that.
You know, people don't generally take their scrambled eggs and get some pepper spray and salt and season it up. Well, you know, sometimes in certain parts of the world, Mike, they'll spray mayonnaise on people also. Yes. Also another food derivative. Yes. Because they make it all, like, slimy and it's uncomfortable. And it's all tart in their mouths and stuff. Mayo spray. Mayo spray. Mayo spray. Mace spray. We've all heard of it. Mace spray. And to all you mace sprayers out there that say you shouldn't be doing that, well, feast. Mace. Yes. Right. All you mace sprayers. 570-1949. We're going to be taking calls, but I want to talk to Chris from San Diego. Are you there, Chris? Hey, man. What's up? Chris is calling because... Your wife? Is that right? No, my brother's wife. Your brother's wife. Here for tomorrow. Yeah. What's the deal? First of all, I appreciate you just staying on the regular phone. I'm not really interested in the FaceTime thing right now. Thank you. I'm never going to use that again because of what I heard. Listen, you know. You don't worry about it. Yeah, and don't pretend like you don't FaceTime with your male friends. Your bromance partner.
I'm sorry I brought it up. All right. So here's what happened. Last Thanksgiving, we're over at my brother's place. And, you know, everything's going fine. And it was their first time they did Thanksgiving, right? Uh-huh. So it was a big deal for them. And his wife cooked a great turkey. It looked beautiful. She brought the turkey. It looked gorgeous. All of a sudden, she steps to the head of the table. She goes like she's going to carve the table. And I start laughing. And everybody's looking at me like, why would you laugh? And I was like, well, what? I thought it was a joke. I thought it was a gag. She's going, oh, look at me. I'm going to carve a turkey. I'm going to look at daddy. You know, it's ridiculous. So I'm like, dude, what's, so I pulled my brother aside. I'm like, dude, what's going on? Are you going to carve your turkey or what? This is your, you know, your first Thanksgiving. You got everybody here. You're supposed to carve the turkey. And he's like, I mean, I, I, I'm ashamed to even say it. I mean, I, I didn't even know what to say about this. Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. She's better with a knife than me. And you know, I don't know. I was like. Dude, you've got to, you know, you've got to man up and carve your turkey. This is not for your wife to carve the turkey. And Chris, why is that? Well, because it's just not the woman's place to carve the turkey. It's the man's job to carve. It's a woman cooking turkey. No, I can't look at her. I can't look at her. I mean, how hard is that? I can't look at her. Woods just pushed away from the microphone. I can't look at her. I can't look at her. I can't look at LLB. I can't look at LLB. I can't look at LLB.
L.O.B. Why is that even an issue? How can you possibly even disagree with that? I don't get it. L.O.B. took her jacket off. What? L.O.B. is... She's not really on the same page with you, I get the feeling. L.O.B. is... I'm not that upset. I'm not that upset. It's... I just don't see... Does it make the turkey taste any different for you as a guest? You know what he's saying, Lauren. He's saying his brother is a P word. That's part of it. He's also saying, you know, a woman doesn't have any place carving a turkey. I mean, let's be honest here. That's exactly what I'm saying. Just in case you didn't get it. Mamacita. There's no reason for the woman to carve the... I think I stated it pretty clearly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's nothing wrong. You want her to cook it, just not carve it. Right. That's exactly right. That's exactly right. That's exactly what he's saying. How can that even come up? Can you walk me through why? Yes. Chris, can you walk L.O.B. through...
always been. When I was growing up, my mom cooked the turkey, my dad carved the turkey. You know what I mean? You've seen the paintings of guys carving the turkey. You ever seen, did Norman Rockwell ever paint a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday with mom cooking the turkey, carving the turkey? No. But he only painted. Woods just passed out on the feedback. Norman Rockwell painting and they twisted it all up. Well, that's a painting and not a photo. Question. Yes, Woods. What if it's a lesbian? Yes. What if it's a lesbian? Well, that's an interesting question. I hadn't really thought about it. The butcher of the two. Yes. Oh, that was brilliant. I'm sorry. That was freaking brilliant. You get it? That's pretty good. Because it works two ways. It's a butcher. Oh, my God. It's a butcher, but then the word butch is in there. Richard Pryor just called and he goes, that was a funny MF joke. Yeah. Chris Rock called and goes. That was funny. I don't care who you are. I don't care who you are. That was pretty good. Wow, Jay. Jayceph R. Isbell. It's a lesbian couple, and one of them looks like a lesbian that's like, huh? All right, thanks for the call. You know? You know what? I don't have a problem with what he's saying. Why should I? Why should we? Well, it's been the tradition in my house. If we are having a problem with tradition, we've gone too far.
Here's the thing. In my house, I really thought that was something for the movies. We didn't have the ceremonious, and now I'll carve the turkey. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not saying that it's ceremonious. I'm just saying that if it's going to be done. But there is no, my parents carve it with an electric knife. Yeah, ours too. On the countertop. Yeah, but mom doesn't do it. They both do it. They both do it. They both do it. It's whoever... What, do they put their hands together like cutting out the cake? No, it's been... They feed each other. Yeah, they feed each other. Whoever's available to do it then. No. In my house, it's my mom. I'm telling you what happened. My mom drops it here, and my dad has that electric knife, and that SOB doesn't leave a morsel. Right. It's a skeleton. Hey, Lauren. I know that's what happens in your house. I'm just telling you. It's not supposed to be that way. The man. This is what happened in my house, and I'm happy that my parents put that role model for me, or else I might not be in the workforce on your show, Mike. Well, listen. Oh, God, that's a little fart. See, that's what I'm saying. I know you don't want me here. I want you here. I love you here. I want you here. My point is. And not.
out in the workforce. I love you here. We can't have traditions anymore. You can't have your own. Now we're politically incorrect for having a tradition. It's not his effing house. Come on. Do your own traditions at your own house. Don't go to a guest at someone's home and laugh at what they do. Chris. Well, you're making it sound like, excuse me, Lauren, you make it sound like I'm practically a stranger. This is my brother's house. We grew up together. That's right. Well, then post it at your house. But why didn't his, he's wondering why his brother didn't do it. Yeah. Because his brother's a giant P-word, obviously. Clearly, he's cuckold. Yeah. His brother probably is a stay-at-home dad, and I'm sure he... Look at Jay, like, I want to be. You know, just pleases his wife every night, but never gets sex for himself. Listen. He probably wears a skirt. And, you know, his wife probably makes more than him. Here's the deal. And all the traditional things that make a guy a P word. He probably cries. He probably cries. He probably lets people see him cry. So you know. Probably lets her speak her mind, of all things. She's being sarcastic. Here's the thing, man. We're now to a point where you cannot be. You can't be traditional.
Yes, you can. And it not be politically incorrect. No, yes, you can. We're sexist. Go for it. We're sexist. At your house, do whatever the F you want. It's my brother's house. Why can't you? Yeah. That's a complete imposition. Family. Hey. Family first. How come you made cranberry relish instead of cranberry sauce? You don't look a gift horse in the mouth. It's not. It's family. When you're hearing your family. Yeah, when you hear your family. If you can't say it to your brother, who can you say it to? He's not saying it to his brother. He's saying it to the Mikey Show. Blood is thicker than water. Yeah, blood's thicker than water, LMA. Oh, man. Hang in line. I just think it's a shame that my little brother ends up with his wife is carving the turkey at Thanksgiving. Did you say anything to him? Yeah, what did he say? And I said it to him right there. And that's why, you know, tomorrow's going to probably might be a little, you know, tense. I don't know. I mean, I still got invited over. But, you know, it was kind of a, you know. Take the bull by the horns. Carve the turkey. His wife was a little offended. Weird. Weird. How did she do? Did she do a good job of carving? Oh, weird. That someone would come as a guest. Someone would have a guest in their home make fun of them and they'd be offended. Oh, she's a woman. Weird. She's offended. Oh, come on. Are we so uptight? You know.
It's so uptight. She's very emotional. Maybe she was on her period. Last Thanksgiving. You never know. That's taking it to a place. I mean, that's an explanation. I did not say that. I did not say that. I would not have said that. I wouldn't have gone that far. I wouldn't have said that. I think he is a little bit out of line for going to somebody else. Now, listen, if he was at his house. Dude, if he was at his house and she walked in and was like, I'm carving a turkey. He's got every right to be like, do it, dude. It's their house. what they want. If her husband's brother can't come over and say something, they're family. You say that at the table? That's rude. Why are you guys using these ugly plates? You should be using the good china. You don't make comments on how people conduct their dinner. That'd be rude. It had to be. He started laughing. Yeah.
You should probably bring it up tomorrow and ask her why she's so touching. Ask her if she's on her period. I'm glad for the food on your plate. Ask her who lit the fuse on her tampon. That's always a good one. Women generally love to hear things like that. Ask her if she's getting enough from her husband. You must have done something right. You got invited back. He's family. He is family. Holy smokes. My brother always complains to me that he's not getting enough, so I know she's not getting it. Okay. He's married, right? Probably because she's the type of person that cuts the turkey. That's right. Thank you, Chris. M1KC from San Diego. What was the word of the day? Chocolate. That is correct. Four pack of tickets for you to go to SeaWorld. Hang on the line, okay? Thank you. Hang on the line. M1 Max from Oceanside, what do you think? Yeah, I'm with LLB. Kind of whoever's house it is, you should, you know, it doesn't matter who's cutting their turkey. Like, in my house, my dad had it growing up. But it's their tradition. It's what they want to do. Listen, you guys have a piñata at Christmas. I didn't come over there and make fun of you for freaking doing a piñata. We don't have a piñata. Don't you? No, we do not. We do not have a piñata. I didn't come over there and go, ha, ha, ha. Who decorates the Christmas tree in your house, Mike? My wife. My dad always did it in our house. Well.
I mean... I don't think that's a tradition, though. Yeah, that's not a well-known tradition. That's not a well... Yeah, we're talking... It's kind of a well-known tradition from where I come from. Whether the guy does it? Man puts the tree up. Oh, yeah. Man puts the tree up, woman decorates. Yeah. That's how it rolls in my house. Yeah, in my house, too. Actually, my mom puts it up and decorates. My dad didn't do anything at Christmas. Sounds like the Christmas ball doesn't fall far from the Christmas tree. That's true. Me, too. You know? I don't think it's a big deal if you go to your brother's house and you're, you know. It's rude. It is rude. It's really rude. It is a little rude. I don't think that there's anything wrong with having a tradition. In fact, I've got no desire to cut the turkey. If I have a husband one day and he wants to cut the turkey, I'm not going to be like, equal rights. But you don't go to somebody's house and say, hey, her husband, my brother. What's that? Your husband, my brother. So you would go to your brother's house and do that? I would definitely bust his chops. You would not. I would. You would not. I would say something to my brother, but not in front of everybody. I would go like this. If I went over, that would irritate me. You're full of it. I'm telling you, it would irritate me, and the reason it would irritate me is because it wouldn't feel like normal. Oh, my God. It would feel all weird. I would just bust his chops. I would pull him aside. I'd go, hey, nice beaver. Oh, that's subtle. There's nothing wrong with busting his chops.
Doing it at the front of the table is just so rude and uncomfortable. Oh, yeah. At the table's rude. I wouldn't have done that. I wouldn't have done that. I would have done this. And you see what it does? It puts people on defense. I'm picturing right now my brother's kitchen. I can see it in my mind's eye. I can see the setting. I can see the turkey in the deal. I would walk in. I would see a woman. picking up a thing to start to carve it, and I would go, that doesn't feel like Thanksgiving. You'd just look at your brother and be like, well, I think you'd look at your brother and be like, hey, lazy ass, get up and carve the turkey, you lazy SOB. That's it. That's it. That's it, Woods. No, that's it. That's it. I would. I'd be like, hey, lazy dude, you're having Thanksgiving. Cut the freaking turkey. 5-7-0-1. I've never done that. I've never carved turkey. It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving. Oh, I'm a little kid. Holy cow. I'm a fiend. 570-1949. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. One of the most anticipated annual concerts is back. And for a totally new and different surfing experience, jump on a firewire and check them out at Bird Surfshed. The authentic surf report can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Come on, man. Wake up. Good morning. Wake up. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. For those of you that have never seen me, I'm a short, chunky guy. Woods. I just try not to be the dirty, creepy pig in my head. Lauren. Do you have coconut water? And Jay. I'm wearing cargo shorts right now. On FM 94.9. How about Caleb? Anything? Yeah, they just got done performing over in Australia, so I think he's all right. Really? Yeah. That's cool. Just saw some tweets from Nathan, the bass player. He said, Sydney rocked. You guys were great. That's cool. Yeah, because Caleb Followell from Kings and Leon was not doing well, but I guess he's doing good. I'm glad. Me too. 570-194-9 is our phone number. We were having a discussion off the air about this turkey thing and if chicks would, or if, what people think of the carving of the turkey.
It's not like a big to-do. It's not like it's a production. I'm just saying that it just goes without saying in our family that... In your family. Yeah, my family. In my family, the guy carves the turkey. Usually dad. My family too. That's why I've never carved one because dad's still alive. Yeah. Now, when I started my own family, then I took over. I don't have a family, so... Yes, you do. You're married. I have my wife. We're not going to do Thanksgiving for two, though. You have people to your home, though. You have people to your home, and if you do, you carve the turkey. You can't make this into that. You could try. You're not going to do it. You're not going to do it. You're not going to do it to me. Don't give me that. I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just saying I don't have kids and stuff running around. Woods was going to adopt last year. It fell through. I don't even know why you're not even saying that.
You shouldn't bring up stuff like that. Yeah, you shouldn't bring up family, dude. You monsters. You should not bring up family. Fanged monsters. Now, what if in this King Clown instance, if his brother, what if his wife, in her family, what if it was her tradition where the mom did it? Oh, boy. What if it was? It's always the head of the household. Yes, I agree. Yeah, which in some cases, arguably, is a mom. Could be a mom. Sometimes there's a single mom. Sometimes. Oh, yeah. There you go. There you go. So what if she grew up or that was her situation and she was like, oh, I want to carve the turkey. My mom always did. Or what if she just took the bull by the horns and he was like, oh, I don't care. You say, oh, yeah, I mean, I'm the guy. But he didn't say that. He let her do it because he didn't care because he's a nice guy. I do it to be nice, but because my wife just doesn't want to do it and it's a lot of work. Yeah. My parents did it together. Now when you're chivalrous, you're sexist. My dad did the big chunks, and then my mom got every last morsel off there because she is frugal. I like to watch my dad do it with that electric knife because here's my dad. Ready? He's carving one part, and he eats a little taste. Yeah. That's the best part of that. I was like, cut it out, dude. I want to taste it. Yeah. He goes, mm. Yeah. Licking his fingers real good. Hey, it's just traditional. That's all. M1, Andy from Vista.
Hey, what's up? I just think that guy's got a bit of a masculinity problem if he's got such a problem with his brother's wife carving that turkey. For sure, Mike. He probably spent such a long time making that that if she wants to carve it, let her carve it. Yeah. It's a good place to say that. I mean, when I was growing up, my mom cooked everything, carved the turkey. All the guys sat on the couch and drank beer and watched football. That's what the men do. That's what the men do. And your dad, what would your dad do? He'd be sitting there watching football. He could care less about the turkey. Wow. Don't judge is all I'm saying. I'm sure when I have a family, that's probably how it'll be at my house. My wife's like, don't touch the knife. I got it. I'm not judging. I'm just saying that's not the way we do it. It is judging. No. Judging says. It's judging your brother's family. Judging said. To step in and say something. I would judge my brother. I'd make fun of my brother. But I couldn't do it. It might have been a tradition when they were kids, but obviously his brother's got a family now, and maybe they're trying to start their own tradition, and if that's cool with his brother, then he doesn't have any rights. I just rolled my eyes. Maybe they didn't think twice about it and didn't know it would be a topic on the Mikey show, because all she was doing was just serve her guests their food. He probably looks good in a skirt, so that's fine. Yeah, I already said that one, Jay. That sounded so good. Now, I...
I described it. I know my brother so well, I can tell you exactly what my brother would say, what I would say. Okay, so his girlfriend or his wife is in there, and I see her about to start to carve turkey. I take him aside, or I wait until he's by an area where she's not in earshot. And I go... But you always talk too loud anyway, so they'd probably hear you. Wow. Just getting me, man. Just getting me. So I would walk up to him, and I would go, What's up with Femme Fatale on the turkey? And Steve would go like this. He'd go, what? Because he wouldn't know what Femme Fatale is. Right. And I would go, we having a ladybird? And then he would get it. Because I would do it jokingly like that. I'd go, we having a ladybird? Crickets. And then he would go, what? Hard tea. Yeah, hard tea. What? What? And I would go, come on, bro.
carve the turkey. And I would say it like that, but in my mind, I would just want a guy to carve the turkey. It seems so foreign to me. It's so rude. It's not. It would be rude if I said it in front of her. Someone just invited you into their home and now you're questioning how they're serving you up food. It's not a stranger. Yeah, it ain't a stranger. It's my family. I've beat up a hundred times at our house. Exactly. So what? It's a guy that has held me down and put a loogie an inch through my face and slurped it back up. Okay, so he can go do that at your house now because you guys are brothers? No. Yeah, if Rebecca decided that she was going to carve a turkey. You can break it. I think you can break the guy's ball. Yes. But I don't think you at the table go, hey. Not at the table. Right. He just ruined his Thanksgiving. Now you've given him a complex. If that ruined his Thanksgiving, he's got bigger issues. Who cares? Maybe he's sensitive. My brother's not sensitive. Jay, you don't have brothers. But he wouldn't be. Let's see. Oh, wait until we do. We got a couple of things. I'll get you all. Yeah, you will. Thank you. You will get us all. Thank you. Leave him alone. Football day begins tomorrow. The Green Bay Packers. Head into Detroit just like Detroit does every Thanksgiving.
And Detroit's a good football team, but they're not as good as the Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers went on the road. No, they're going to go 11-0 after tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast. There you go. Miami's heading into Dallas, and I couldn't stand a team any less except the Raiders. It's the only team I hate more than the Dallas Cowboys, and I say Dallas wins at home. Yeah, Dallas is playing a lot better, man. I think they win at home on Thanksgiving. The San Francisco 49ers look like it's the 80s, and they're playing the Baltimore Ravens. And it's a battle of brothers, like Wood said, the Harbaugh's. And I say, Jim Harbaugh comes out on top. On the road, the Niners win. I took John Harbaugh at home. The Baltimore Ravens go to 8-3. That's going to be, that's the game tomorrow. It's going to be awesome. That's the game tomorrow. Well, you know how I know the Niners will lose? How? Because I have Alex Smith as my fantasy quarterback, so there's no question. So put your money. On Baltimore. Minnesota goes into Atlanta. Atlanta takes care of business at home. No question. Houston goes to Jacksonville. Jacksonville and their young quarterback, I think, gets off the schneid and beats the Texans at home. Look, I've got absolutely no faith in a quarterback that doesn't even want to play in the NFL, and that's Matt Leiner. That guy's the biggest Sally ever to put on a helmet. They lose. Tampa Bay goes into Tennessee. Tennessee's playing 500 football, except after this weekend.
They're going to be 6-5. They win at home. No, I think Hasselbeck probably won't play, so I took Josh Freeman and LeGarrette Blount and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Arizona Cardinals head into St. Louis. The Cardinals are as turdish of a team as I've seen in a long time, and St. Louis is a turd team, too. In fact, they're turdier than Arizona, but they win at home. Yeah, also took St. Louis. Cleveland and Cincinnati. Cincinnati. Cincinnati. Buffalo heads into the Jets. You're not going to beat that defense at home with Rex Ryan. Sorry, the Jets win. I have no confidence in the Jets at all. They're the most inconsistent team in the NFL, I think, besides the Chargers. They're going to win, though. The Jets will win. Carolina Panthers go to the winless Indianapolis Colts, and could this be the game that the Colts turn it around? No. Carolina wins on the road. Ditto. Washington goes into Seattle. Woodsy said it, man. The Seattle Seahawks, they're actually playing better ball. I say they win at home. I do, too. Chicago goes into the black hole in Oakland, and I say the Raiders will beat Chicago. Captain Dumbface has broken his thumb on his throwing hand. That is Jay Cutler. He will not play. They have nobody else. Oakland wins. New England goes to Philadelphia. Sorry, LLB.
We'll take care of it on the road. That is a tough game. The dream team will fall. That's right. What everybody's been waiting for. The Denver Tebow's. Captain Tebow. Your boy. A.K.A. Mikey. Are coming to San Diego. You going to go to the game and wear your Tebow jersey? Yep. I don't have a Tebow jersey. You have his number tattooed on your back. I don't. Who do you like? I'm not a traitor. They're not playing well. The Chargers are not playing well. Gosh, I've only been here two years and I took the Chargers. You got to. Oh, you're a hero. I did too. I love them. Giants are going into New Orleans. I say New Orleans makes short work. Yes, me too. And Pittsburgh and Kansas City. Really? Yeah, come on. That's my sure thing. That's my sure thing too. Pittsburgh goes into Kansas City and beats them.
5701949. I love the San Diego Chargers. Obviously not. Obviously, I like the Broncos a little more. Dude, I'm telling you. What if Kyle Orton was playing? Oh, how dare you? He actually got cut yesterday, by the way. Yeah, yeah. Kyle Orton got cut. Identical Dave Grohl gets cut. I mean, not like traded. Not we're going to pick up a seventh rounder. Waved. Just cut. Cut. That's harsh. He may go to Chicago, they're saying, again. Freeze up two million bucks for the Broncos. I'm going to give that to your boy. Bonus for your boy. It's John 316 real good. You know what, man? That you do have tattooed on your back. I love you, Michael. Good. That means someone does. I can't believe you picked the Broncos in Tebow. Come on, man. Come on, man. It's so easy for you to pick the Chargers' woods. It's so easy. Dude, the Broncos are on a college offense. Hopefully, Minuski can dial up a defense to stop Tebow from running the football. Bro, Tebow's been winning. He's won four out of five games that he started. I'm not rooting. I'm not rooting. You know a lot about him. I'm not. I am not rooting. Gosh. Maybe spout off some Philip Rivers stats. Yeah. I actually don't. I don't. I don't want to. I don't want to do that. 5-7-0.
194.9. All right. So, Woodsy, he went out on the street. He wanted to talk to some folks and just kind of find out what's going on with Christmas. I like talking to people. Thanksgiving. I like talking to people. Yeah. And so, he went out on the streets. He's a man of the people. Yes. And decided that he was going to go out and just start talking to people and ask them questions. Where is it, Jay? It's seven. There we go. Here we go. Here we go. Hey, man. What's your name? Hey, I'm James. Hey, James. How are you? Pretty good. How are yourself? I am well. Hey, listen. Quick question for you. What do you hate about Thanksgiving? Oh, man. I'd say probably washing all the dishes. You have to do all the dishes. I have to do the dishes. That sucks. Anything else? Probably the weight. The weight. Yeah, I got to work out after, and it's a pain in the butt. Yeah, you have a great figure. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Not after, though. Not after. All right, buddy. Have a good one. Bulging biceps? Question. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, fine. I guess I'm, you know, I've already put myself on the spit.
It's just the way that it was done when I grew up. Yeah. Which means it's the only way you'll ever do things. Are you saying that the mom does the dishes? Yeah. After she cooks? Well, my mom and my aunts. My mom, my aunts. Gosh, I'm so glad I'm not in either one of your families. My grandmother. My female cousins. My cousins. Yeah, female cousins. Gosh, I mean, I guess we're sexist. Yeah. Sometimes I get run out of the kitchen, but I'll help until I get kicked out. You see this ass on my chest? Yeah, that's right, Mike. Superman. And I cook the turkey. You don't realize. Mom's don't have to cook the turkey. Super Jack. Listen, Mike, as long as those microphones are open, I do dishes, I cook, I do dishes, I make sex. He does. I do. Hours and hours and hours. My wife will tell you. He's a good husband. Yes. Oh, good everything. Super husband. Yeah, super everything. Super sex maker. Super dad. I just try. Super dishwasher. I put in some effort. Super rotisserin. I realize you guys don't know what effort means, but Jay can maybe tell you. I come to work every day and just put roof overheads. So do I. That's not effort. I did. Actually, I built the roof overheads. Jay leaves after both of you guys. Just making car payments real good. Yeah, me too. Yeah, he does that too. I built our house.
I built it. It's the last thing you built besides an appetite. It's just so sad that you guys just love seeing your wives just not enjoy the party. Not our wives, our mothers. My mother. Same thing. Yeah, when I was a kid, I'd do this. It's like... I wash my own dish, but I don't do all the major dishes. I wash my own dish and put it in the dishwasher. Do you? Yes. Am I a monster because I don't? Kind of. No, I don't think so. Listen, it's the way... You're entitled. It's the entitlement thing. It's as if it's some... It's the entitlement thing. Yeah. I'm going, hey, do it for me. Hey, my dad got it. I get it. Yeah. It's the way it works. A woman's work. It's the way it works. Tradition. Well, at least Mike, me and you never said that all women are prostitutes. You know what I'm saying? We never said that. True point. Jay did say that all women are prostitutes. On the air. If a woman goes out with a man on a date and gets a dinner and makes sex to him, she's a prostitute. I think the only difference was Jay was joking. No, remember that time, Jay? Remember that time that you said that if you go on a date with a girl and you pay and she accepts...
She is a prostitute. Not a greedy person. She's a prostitute. Hooker. Hooker. Jay was making a joke. You guys are dead serious. You know. Lady of the night. Right. World's oldest profession. Streetwalker. Should be legalized. That's right. I agree. I'll drive the point in more. Should be legalized. Hey, where'd you go? Did you go to the Outback Steakhouse? Did you get yourself a Bloomin' Onion? That's nice. Who paid for it? He did? Okay. Hooker. Wonka Wonka. Whore. Yeah. Streetwalker. Oh, so you went to Applebee's, huh? You want your hooker. Back hooker, back hooker, back hooker, back hooker, back hooker. Hooker. Hooker back reels. Those are the comedy jokes. I'm sure Rebecca's laughing all the way to the dishwasher. She's probably laughing as hard as I am. Yeah. Look at that. She's cracking up. I'm dying over here. You guys make it into some sexism. It's as if I'm cracking a whip going, do you even get out of your chair or just hand it to the plate? Just like, hey, I'm done with it. Hey, you know what I'd like? I'd like some seconds, but you know that already. No, he holds it up and goes, babe, and points to it. And she knows what that means. She just brings a slop trough. She knows what that means. A slop trough.
She slops you real good. She's a good woman. She knows what the point at the plate means. I beg my wife to call in and defend me. Please. She's not going to. Dead silent. Nope. Please. Phone's not ringing. I just do it as a bit. Do you? Yeah, it's just a bit in my house. Shut up. I do bits with my wife. That's our dynamic. You ever just leave your friend nude? Standing there nude in front of an audience? Shaking. Just aching and putting his hands over himself? Covering my breasts, even. Thank you for that. Oh, God. Jay! When we come back, The Gobbler. And some more Woodsy. We got Woodsy and The Gobbler. We got both. Are you calling them to be The Gobbler? No, I... You know, Jay, not every woman...
is a prostitute. A prostitute. And you don't, not every woman is just a gobbler. They're not just objects. Yeah, they're not objects, you know. So glad. You don't get out of jail free for that. I always have to look my sexiest. That's why I'm wearing these tight size 42 pants. Be a part of the show. 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. I'm sorry, our time is up. Good financial media station. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I don't want to cry. I don't want movies that make me cry. Lauren. If you don't use it, you lose it. Woods. I like to grease the maitre d's from time to time. And Jay. Yeah, I'm not going to play games with him. Just point blank ask him, then I'm going to break his legs. On FM 94.9. Nothing filthier. This record cover? Yes. Yeah. Mike Reno's butt. Yeah. Red pants. Red leather pants. Red leather pants. He's looking over his shoulder. Yep. And the hands behind the back crossed. Yeah. You knew that what he wanted to do was not... It wasn't savory. He wasn't a savory character. Whatever he was going to do, you didn't want your daughter apart. Oh, God, no. You didn't want your daughter around a dude in red leather pants. I was thinking my son. How's that? I was thinking my son. You heard it. All right. Was Reno a...
No. He was gay? No. Oh. I didn't know. I was asking. Willing to learn, though. It's Jay Isbell. Productions. Yeah. Productions. Wow. If you want to get a hold of him, go ahead, newsboy. What have you got for us? I have a 10-year-old boy in Washington defends his mom with his BB gun. It says that they'd rented out a room. First, he just says the headline. He reads the headline. Yeah. Ten-year-old local boy defends mom with gun. He says that they rented the room to a guy who was kind of a known felon. And then when he came home drunk and trying to beat up on the mom, the kid first hit the guy in the head with a two-by-four. Oh. And then started shooting him in the face with his BB gun. There you go. That is rad. Don't touch his mom. Yeah, the 45-year-old man was treated from the hospital and then arrested.
I wonder what would happen at point blank. It hurts. It definitely punctures. It punctures, right? Yeah, well, it depends on the BB gun. Oh, well. My BB gun won't. Not, yeah, but I mean. One of those airsoft guns that we have. Heck yeah. That would hurt. Get under your skin. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? In baseball news, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun was named the National League's most valuable player. He was first on 20 of the 32 ballots. He is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting young players in the game. And if you didn't hear earlier, your schedule for tomorrow football-wise, first game, 9.30 a.m., Green Bay at Detroit, 1.15 p.m., Miami at Dallas, 5.20 p.m., San Fran at Baltimore. Battle of the Heart, Bob Boys. M1 Susan from San Diego. Are you there? I am. Good morning, Mikey Show. Good morning. So are you guys still talking about women doing the dishes? No, no. Well, what we said was, what we said was, you know, that when I was growing up, my mom did the dishes. That was just the way it was. It's not sex. This is just what happened. Well, now you're growing up and your wife does the dishes. No, I agree with you, Mikey. Oh, wow.
Oh, wow. I do. Hey, a lot of times I'm cooking. You know, a lot of the times. That is true. In my family, I do the cooking and I do the dishes. Well, a lot of people would make you into a bad person, but not me. I applaud you. I applaud you. If that's what she wants to, it's all good. Do you want to have at it? Okay. So this is not a jab against men. However... I just do think that women clean and disinfect the dishes a lot better than men. Me too. It's because they pretend like they don't know how to. Hey, women can vacuum and clean and disinfect real good. Absolutely. Oh, I agree with you. I'm okay with that. My husband's happy. I bet your husband's thrilled. You've been duped. I bet your husband is thrilled. He knows how to do it. You're a good woman. How do you think he survived up until this point? That's the way I was raised. You're a good woman. I love you. I love you. There's nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. If she doesn't have a problem with it, what's the problem? No. There is no. But I also grew up with my family, mostly women. So it's just my sister and I. So I think that's kind of part of it also. But I do believe more in the traditional ways of the male and female roles. Hey, listen. You know, I'm in charge of the garbage.
You know, now, is that sexist? Is that sexist against women? You know, are we supposed to look at women and be like, you sexist women? Making me. Really? A man? Oh, so is that all a man's good for? Taking the garbage out? Yeah, we don't do that. Please. I mean, gosh. Well, I'm supposed to be in charge of the garbage, but I always forget. So Jamie ends up doing it. Here's the point. You say, you point to the plate when you want a second. When you want a second dish for your dinner. No, he doesn't do that. I don't do that. Jay was making that up. I made it up and it's true. It is not true. I point for the trash can when it's full. Okay, see? That's how it works in your house. That's great. That's fine. I'm just saying that Mike and Woods are chauvinists. That's all I said. That was all I said. That's all she said. I am so not chauvinist. I am the opposite of chauvinist. All right, let's look up the definition of the word chauvinist. It just says Mikey. I will be honest. First, I need to know how to spell it. C-H-A-U-V-I-N-I-S-T. Chauvinist. Chauvinist. Exaggerated or aggressive patriotism. That one doesn't work. Hmm. Because that just doesn't make sense to me. Male chauvinist. Try that. Yes. Oh, boy. Okay.
Excessive or prejudiced loyalty or support for one's own cause, group, or gender? Yep. That's you. Do I have excessive or prejudiced loyalty towards males? No. You have excessive. He likes girls more. I like girls more. No, but you believe that there are certain roles. That a man should have. Yes. A woman should have. Yes. And I don't believe that that's chauvinist. It's traditional. Well, listen, you know, I went out. I remember, I recall going on, I don't know, in my lifetime, a thousand dates. A thousand. You know how many meals I paid for? A thousand. One thousand. I didn't see anybody reaching for their purse or their wallet when it was time to pay. And I never bitched about it one bit. I don't care. I knew that's how I was supposed to be. Now, hang on a second. LLB is rolling her eyes. Roll away, kid. Roll away. L-O-B. I believe in that, what he said. I believe he's telling the truth. And I think that that's fine. That's the problem. Me too. But, you know, it's all fair until it's time to pay the check. Yeah. I've never paid a check in my life. We're all equal. I do. And see, I feel that you should. You should be treated like a lady. Exactly. But treating somebody like a lady is bad. All right.
You should be treated like a lady. I have my relationship. You guys have yours. Let's leave it. That's the reality. You're not treating her like a lady. You're trying to get into her pants. That's what you're doing. That's fair enough. That's exactly what you're paying the money. Well, they're prostitutes, so it works. That's what Jason says. That's what Jason says. They're prostitutes. He buys dinner. She's got the tail feathers, and you're paying. What are tail feathers? Tail feathers. Those are the feathers. That tell you everything you need to know? She shakes them. It's why you guys wouldn't date me, and it's why I wouldn't date you. Because we would want to buy you a meal. We'd want to buy you dinner. No, not that. We're freaking chauvinist monsters. We'd hold the door for you. I'm talking about the dishes and the carving of the turkey and the overall. You're more traditional than you let on. I would let you carve the turkey. I'm not saying I'm not traditional. Because I'm lazy. I'd be like, have a kid. Do whatever you want to do. Yeah. Yeah. I would, too. I know I would. It's not that I'd want to carve the turkey. Why do you want to carve the turkey? I'm saying I don't get all wound up because that's the way it's supposed to be or that's the way my parents did it. I'm my own person. I have my own traditions and my own preferences. I'm proud to say I am not my own person. Isolate! Alright, let's do this. The Gobbler.
We didn't finish Woods' audio. We're going to go back. We're going to go back and forth. Because we got some fun Thanksgiving audio here. You mean more fun than Men Against Women? I know. Why are we still talking about this? Point counterpoint real good. All I want to do is take care of a woman and I'm a monster. All I want to do. I do. I do. I want to take care. I want to make sure that everything is the way that you want it. Listen. My dad once told me this. He says, if you speak from the heart, you'll always be good. If you speak from the heart, you'll always be good. I mean this. I want to take care of a woman. I mean it. That's a true fact. Me too. True statement. I want to take care of my wife. It breaks my heart every day that my wife has to go to work. It breaks my heart. I don't want her to have to. What would she do? I don't know. It's so crazy. She'd probably shrivel up and die. She wouldn't because she's an independent, strong woman. But I want to be able to provide enough so that she doesn't have to. I don't like that she gets doors slammed in her face. I don't like that people are mean to her when she goes to try to sell them stuff. That's sweet. That breaks my heart. Women should just stop going to college because what do they need that for? And actually, in all honesty, we should probably stop at Home X. Like, we don't really need science or math. I wish my wife would call and defend me. My wife has not called and defend me. My wife will not call and defend me either.
Just want to take care of you. Let me just say this. What's good for the goose is not always good for the gander. Different strokes. Lauren O'Brien was born on December 2nd. Rebecca Esparza was born on December 3rd. And the only thing that really separates them is 24 hours. Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much. And I grew up in a very traditional household, by the way. Yeah. Well. I would think, L.O.B., that you would want to be loved, cared for, coddled, held on a pestle. A pestle? Held up and put on a pestle? It's a pedestal, Jay. I don't want to be held up on a pestle because the only thing that can happen from there is you fall off. That's good. That's deep. I don't have a comeback for that. What if I put you on the pestle and then I built like a safety? Like a trampoline underneath it. Like a trampoline that went under there. Your safety net is you helping with the dishes. Oh, boy. My wife calling to defend me? No? All right. Weird. No, she's actually packing for our trip, so... Rebecca, it's 57019. She's probably ironing your shirts or something. Oh, God. That would be terrible. That'd be monstrous. If my wife wanted to set...
The woman's movement back by 150 years. You know what she would do? Care for her husband in a way. Like ironing his shirt. I have ironed Matt's shirts before, but it's not my job. I've done it as a service to him, and he's ironed stuff for me. He's ironed stuff for me as well. I'm running late. I've got to shower. I've got to do this. Shoot, I haven't ironed my shirt yet. I'll do it for you, babe. Thank you, you angel. I've done that. That's sweet. I would do that. Yeah, I have. I don't know how to work the same. Oh, I can iron. Sorry, I was supposed to be doing Mikey's work. You forget. Hey, I don't know how to work the same. You forget. I didn't get married until I was 32 years old. Now, L.O.B., I will tell you this. If... You wouldn't want me. Would you want me to iron one of your things? Yes, you are more detail-oriented than anyone I know. But you know I'm going to jack that up. Are you? That's a bit. It is a bit. It's a bit. It's our bits why we don't do stuff. You guys all survived on your own before we came along. You know what, though? We don't know how to iron a blouse or a skirt. I don't know how to iron. I use either a spray bottle or the dryer. You do? Yes. Not a good woman, apparently. Oh, wow.
Now, that's true, according to that. 570-1949. This is M1 San Diego. Lauren, you're driving me crazy. Why? Man, my wife, she went to college, got a business degree, has never used it. She has been a stay-at-home mom, happily, for the last nine years. It's great, but, I mean, are you going to get like a diamond ring for your husband? Do you still want one of those or a Hannah tattoo on your finger? Can you imagine if we got the $10,000, $15,000 ring? No, I'm not against tradition. I'm just against the set rules of you have to do that because you're supposed to. He just brought up a great point. I'm just going to throw it out there. I'm just going to throw it out there. Boy, I know what you're going to ask. I want you to seriously consider it, though. I'm doing my job. I'm Facebooking, Mike. Mike, I'm liking... I'm not liking anything. I'm liking Tabasco's page. I'm reading an irate email right this second. Oh, really? Yeah, I'm going to delete it. Let me throw this out. Don't delete. Don't delete. You don't want this. I do, too. I want to have fun. I want the good and the bad. Here, listen. I'm going to throw this out there. You tell me. What if I said, I want to start a new... I want to be...
What do you call it? A trendsetter. A trendsetter and complete equality. And I really think that what we should do is change a tradition. Nobody is adverse to changing traditions. I believe that from now on, we get the diamond. Good luck. I believe we get the diamond. I think we should change tradition. You guys spend four months' salary. What we'll do is we'll get you a band. We'll get the ladies a band. Because this is 2011. We don't have to be so backwards and knuckle-draggler thinking that a woman cannot get a diamond from a man. Not every girl gets a diamond anymore. It doesn't matter. You guys are putting such an imposition on everyone having to do the same thing. Let people do what they want to do. When's the last time you know a girl that got a ruby for an engagement ring? My brother-in-law's sister.
Okay, but besides her. I can start naming people who haven't gotten diamonds. What do they get? They get whatever they want. Sometimes they get the blue sapphire. I want a diamond. I want a diamond. I'm like most gals. I want a diamond. It wouldn't fly. Women would say... She'd find the right guy. If that's what she wanted, she'd find a guy there. I know, but if I throw that out there, I think that most women are like, that's stupid. And it is. You're making blanket statements about all traditions are bad. Oh, no. They are not bad. I like them. I like them. You're making a blanket statement that I'm trying to say that or that anyone's trying to say that. No one's trying to say that. Mike agrees with you, LLB. Mike from Chula Vista. Go ahead. Hey, I just want to say that equality in our society starts at home. And that's what LLB is saying. She's saying that, hey, I can do this for you and you can do that for me because I can and because I want to. That's because that's your traditional rule. Exactly. All right, Mike, if that's the deal, then why not have a girl get a guy a diamond for engagement? These are acts of service that we're talking about. Dishes and ironing and helping cleaning. These are little things to help around with the overall household. Exactly. Get out your pen. Hey, do you want to get a business degree as a woman? Go for it. You don't want to. That's okay. The best way to do it is to show your children that women are as valuable as men.
is to show them what women do at home just as what men do in the business world. Because in the end, that's what comes out to you. I mean, you share yourself, Mikey. Just like myself, you're very flawed. And your wife has put up her little pants up there. Very flawed. And she's done the best she can do to help you out. So therefore, she has the right to be an equal. Thank you. Thank you. I just ask that we don't isolate anything I'm about to say. Oh, no. She's fighting. I'm more of a wife than my wife is. Don't you isolate that. So who? Well, you got bigger boobs. Oh, that's double insult. Man, that... No. I thought about it today. My wife has to treat me like the husband that goes, Babe, what is this bill? What were you doing at Ulta that cost $78? Now, when I say Ulta, I mean. It's Ulta Cosmetics. Yeah. And I mean, that's a real. It's a true conversation. Real statement. That my wife will have to come to me sometimes and say, what did you get for $120 at Ulta? Your brother should come over your house and bust your balls. He would. He would. 100%. For letting your wife pay all the bills. He would. He would.
He'd bust me. Not for paying the bills. No, for buying things from Ulta. No, I mean for like... A woman's store. Yes. That too. Yeah. And my wife has to keep her eye on the shopping and say, babe, with the shopping already, you got to cool your jets. So the roles are very reversed in my family. So I don't... I don't really have much of a leg to stand on. And you guys break my balls for giving my wife the independence to manage her own money, and I manage my own money. But I'm not controlling. It works for you, Wood. Right. I'm not controlling. She can do whatever she wants. I'm not controlling. No. I know. Yeah. Very untraditional. It's not 1955 in my house. It's 1957. It's not 1957. The only two things in life that make it worth living. His guitars are too good and firm, feeling women. I don't need my name in the marquee lights. Don't you? Got my song, do you? Got you with me tonight. Do you? Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love. Like washing dishes. Barefoot narration. Honey.

There's Twilight. Uh-huh. Eclipse. Eclipse, and then the new moon. New moon. I haven't seen the new moon.
Yet. Yeah. I saw the first two. Nice Bieber. And boy, that first one got me. I hear from a lot of people it's terrible. The first one's good. Yeah, the first one's great. Do you like the first one, Alibi? I haven't liked any of them. Really? She read the books, but she likes the books. She don't like the movies. Movies stink. I don't want to see it. I like the first one he takes when he runs up the tree. Yeah, that's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Which one is the one where... I know, but it's... You've got to suspend. It's vampires. What's the one where the girl is in the water, sinking in the water? Twilight. Yeah, I know. Which one? Yeah, which movie? Oh, gosh. The first one. Is it the first one or the second one? Because you know we're going to isolate them. All the ends of them. Can you tell me your name? Hi, I'm Lisa. Lisa, can you give me your best turkey impression? Okay.
It's outstanding. Can I just add that Lisa threw in her wings? Outstanding. And was strutting. That is amazing. This bit's 100 times better than I thought it would be. We're going to do it every year. Every year. Yes. For the rest of our lives. What is your name? Oh, wow. You'll understand why. It's my 18-month-old name. Let me say, gobble, gobble. Gobble, gobble. Oh! I got to hear it again. I got to hear it again. What is your name? Can you say gobble, gobble? Gobble, gobble. Do you say turkey? That's great. I'm about to cry. I'm not kidding. Oh, God. Oh, God. That is great. What's your name? What's your name? It's her sex phone voice. Phone sex voice. What's your name? I had to be gentle. I had a small window. That's that. Can you tell me your name? Kayla. And can you give me your best impression of a turkey? All right, all right, all right. I have a question. I have a question. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. I have a question. I have a question. I have an answer. When did you do this? I did it yesterday. Did you, where did you do it? That, I did it three different places. That was Moonlight Beach. Did she have nice breasts? No, I just flood my words. Nice breasts.
Okay, because I, the only reason I asked is I didn't know if it was another case. Name three judges from American Idol. Do you drink every day when you get off the air? Have you just given into the bottle? Have you just given into the bottle? No, that was just a J club. All right, here we go. Your breast. Can you tell me your name? Kayla. And can you give me your breast impression of a turkey? Gobble gobble. Can you tell me your name? Kayla. And can you give me your breast? Sure. Can you tell me your name? Kayla. And can you give me your breasts? I said, can you give me your breasts? Air cream. I said, what's your name? Kayla. Can you give me your breasts? And can you give me your breasts? Amazing. Oh, babe. No, I can't actually. They are mine and no means no. Correct. Can you tell me your name? Here we go. Kayla. And can you give me your breasts? Impression of a turkey. Gobble, gobble. Let's sell out, Kayla. Yeah.
Way to get everything you have. Yeah, quite the ad-libber, aren't you? So tell me your name, Jessica, and can you give me your best impression of a turkey? That's genius. That is good. Can you do it one more time? I'll try it. Let's see. Fascinated. I want 900. I know. I want 900. And just isolate just the sound. I don't care that it's going to be after Thanksgiving. I know. I want more. I want L.O.B. to get 900 of these. I'm here with the seniors of what high school? This is for Woods. Yeah. And can I hear your impressions of a turkey? Save the giggling at the end for Woods. Thank you very much. Yeah. She fits. What are you going to do? I guess just send it to jail. Oh, God.
L.O.B., that was great. That was fun. Outstanding. By the way, I found an oldie but a goodie with L.O.B. L.O.B. recorded that in the bathroom here at Lincoln Financial. On an app called Songify, I believe. That's right. Yeah. That was good stuff. It was proving that I could do a better song than Rebecca Black, recording artist. Yes. Hey, Justin Beaver is singing right now on the Today Show. Did you see his haircut? Cut all his hair off. Chances that the new haircut will catch on. Chances that he's wearing his mom's Christmas sweater right now. And I'm not joking. I will take a picture and post for all to see. Chances that he's wearing his... No, I won't. What is up with that? Okay, I will. It looks like he's wearing his mom's makeup. Wait, wait, wait. Let's get a... Wait, wait, wait. Woods.
I'll get you. It's like a Letterman's jacket. It is. It is Letterman's jacket. With snowflakes on it. With snowflakes on it. There's snowflakes on his jacket? Come on, guys. He's a cute little girl. Dude, I think he sings good. I think he's got a nice tone to his voice. He's got a nice tone to his voice. Ridiculous. I'm man enough to not have to think that I'm gay because I say that he's got a nice singing voice. Rewind it and watch him go. Okay, maybe it's lame, but he's got a nice voice. He did a little jump kick at the end there. That's his new thing. Or at least his thing. Oh, yeah. He's a little girl, dude. He's a little girl. Hey, what? How? Dude, come on. Come on, Mike. Oh, gosh. You know, you got to be so cool. Like, it's so cool. I don't have to be so cool. I know what is not cool. It's Justin Bieber. Yeah, dude. I don't have a poster up. I'm just saying it. Don't. You. Didn't you see his documentary? Okay, I do have a poster. No. God, he's awful. He looks like if Angelina Jolie got a buzz cut. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Underneath the mistletoe. Oh, my God. Beat him with my belt. Come here. Where's my phone?
Justin, get over here. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Whatever. Oh, gosh. Beat him silly. If it was a talent competition, I would go, oh, yeah, the kid's got a good voice. I mean, he looks like a girl, but he's got a good voice. Now, do you go, oh, he can't sing. That guy has a terrible voice. I'd say it's just nothing special. Woods and I were judges for Mira Mesa's Got Talent. And I'll tell you, he wouldn't have made the top three. No question. No question. That's not true. We're dead serious. He got lucky. That is, come on. Not that he can't sing. It's just nothing special to me. And that voice is about to change. It's already getting a little crackly. It's going to be different. Where's your phone, buddy? I don't know. I don't know. Jay, I don't have it. Don't you? 570-1949. Woodsy had the opportunity to go out as well and talk to some folks. And if someone says dong, off to the races. Dong. Dong. Dong. Shlong. That's funny. They're funny words. What about Johnson? Yeah. I never liked Johnson. Isolate. What about? Let's see. Well, we do have that's a true statement. We were worried that we were going to be short on material today. We have more material. We have movie plot hot potato. Movie plot hot potato is where we take a bouncy ball that weighs about a pound. At least. And they bounce each other in the nuts. Well, no, no, no, no. Come on. You do if you lose. No. If you lose, don't you have to take a baby. We take a baby.
All in good fun. But the funny part about movie black. I'd rather you guys bounce each other. Well, of course you would. It's a bag tag. That's another game. It's a different game. It's a bag tag. It's funny to watch that. But it's visual. Visual. But you can hear you guys screaming in pain. I'll play bag tag. And you can hear the ball thumping. I'll play whatever you want. All right. Let's do that's true statement. And then we'll do that. If alone, every human being picks their nose on the reg. That's a true statement. Agreed. Yeah, and it's okay for some people to stay quiet. Yes, for disposal purposes. Right, but not, not.
You don't do it the proper way. I'll do it in front of people. I don't care. I'll go knuckle deep on you real good. Of course you will. Knuckle deep. Yeah, and you wipe it on your pants. You're an animal. You do it, Jay. I'll do it as well, but I don't wipe it on my pants. I don't do it in front of people. You don't do it in front of people. But if there's nobody there, you'll do it and you'll wipe it on your pants. Wiping it on your pants? I've never even heard of that. No, I flick it out the window. Oh, please. Flick it out the window. Why would I wipe it on my pants? booger on your leg. I don't have booger pants. Nobody will know. It's just snot. Nobody knows. You guys don't wash your jeans? That's filthy. Who doesn't wash jeans? Of course we wash our jeans. Yeah, I wash my jeans. My wife washes my jeans. I don't wash them. I wear them twice and then wash them. 570-1949 if you want to play Movie Plot Hot Potato. Only 20% of people who call in and say they are sick are actually sick. That's a true statement. Wow, look at you. Stop it. 20%. Yeah. One out of five. I'm trying to be conservative. No. No chance. You know what I was originally going to say? 50%. Half. Half of the workforce when they say...
I can't come in today. Oh, gosh. They're saying one in five is not sick or is sick? One in five is sick. Yeah, one in five is actually sick. What I was going to say is, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no. Half of the people that call in are faking it. Oh, half. That's what I believe. Yeah, I think a little more. Yeah. I think some of them have the cocktail flu. Sick of work. Yeah, sick of work. Cocktail flu, real good. Cocktail flu. Wine flu. Out partying the night before. I give them the benefit of the doubt. What about you? Have you ever done it? I've never just wanted to do something because I've been too fearful that someone would see me out somewhere. But I've been hungover or tired. You've not taken a day and just pretty womaned it up real good? No. I'm way too fearful that someone would see me. In your house? In your house? Oh. Yeah, just pretty woman. Click it on. Tortilla chips and salsa. Just making some homemade spinach dip. Maybe I woke up and I was just too tired to be productive. Just taking a sourdough bowl and putting some spinach in the middle of it. Sounds good. With some Ritz crackers. Real good. Hey, babe. Hey, do you know what I just told my wife I'm going to do? What's that? I'm going to watch those stupid two movies before we go. I love you, dude. That's a good man right there. Three movies, by the way.
Not her. She will not give me... Three movies. I will never live up to anything that this lady... She's got that smirk on her... Because I'm going to need some food to get through this. I can't win. I cannot. I can't win. I cannot. Honey, I'm trying to watch the movies. Can you bring me some food? Oh, my gosh, Mike. You're like a war hero. It's like, Mike, they should put up a shrine.
They should make some sort of a medal for men that actually lay down and watch a movie. Free movies. When you pass gas, it'll be a purple fart. Oh, my gosh. Is that what you want, Mike? A purple fart, Mike? You're trying to earn your purple fart this weekend. Wood's already got his. Chances. Chances. Guys will start saying they're trying to earn a purple fart this weekend. Genius. That should be a t-shirt. That's t-shirt material. He's trying to earn my purple fart. Just eating brownies. Sitting back, eating brownies, watching a movie. Just eating crab cakes, smothering broccoli real good, trying to get their purple fart. Wow, Mac, I mean, it's like, you're what Father's Day's all about. I mean, just the sacrifice it takes to just sit there. To lay in bed with a beautiful blonde and watch movies. Oh, man. How do you do it? Mike, you got to write a book about that. Give a testimony about laying in bed and watching a television show. Oh, boy. Oh, my goodness, Mike. Imagine.
You're going to get bed sores, you're such a good husband. He will get me no matter what. M1, my pet vulture from Escondido. How are you? I'm doing good. How are you doing? I'm good. I'm doing great because I got Joe. You got that right. Hang on. I miss Sean. The sound effects guy that was on your old show. Mikey just misses his old show. He just calls it home. Yeah, just home. All right, let's do this. Hey, we need to mind meld right now. Okay? Hey, pretend I'm B-Rob and mind meld with me right now so we can win this deal.
Let's flip a coin, Jay. Hey, they're playing for a pair of tickets to see Warren Miller's new movie, Like There's No Tomorrow, Saturday, December 3rd at La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Arts. He's just kidding. He had the upper hand for like 10 seconds. Like, seriously. It wasn't even 10. And then we deflated him again. It was four. You know this happens off the air, too. Oh, yeah. Steadily. Steadily. You know that off the air, I'll get a text randomly. Just in the middle of the day. Nothing's even happened. And Woods will text me. Sorry, I'm not B-Rod. I'm like, what did I do? What? He goes, ah. Just picture Mike just sitting in his aquarium. Who's this? Oh, Woodsie. Someone sent me a text. Sorry, I'm not B-Rod. Oh, gosh. All right. You do, man. You ready? Maybe. I'll go first. Well, we've got to explain how this works. So they're going to describe a movie plot. I have to guess what the movie is. They have a hot potato in their hand. Now, it's more like pizza and cheesesteaks that they have there. That would be Lamberti's. That would be the place that I wanted. The chicken parm. Is it still the deal? Oh, yeah. It's still the place. Yeah. That's cool. It is delicious. Oh, man. There's a place in Dallas. I don't know if you're right there called Campisi's. Yeah, it's Dallas, bro. It doesn't matter. Those dudes were in the mafia at Campisi's. I know, bro. It's like saying, hey, I'm going to New York. Can you recommend a great place for ribs? You are such a clown. You are such a clown. Yeah. Hey, guys. You are such a clown. I'm going to be in Memphis next week. You're such a clown. Where can I get some really great tacos?
Absolutely. You get barbecue in Memphis. You get Mexican food here. You get Tex-Mex and barbecue in Texas. And if you go to the East Coast, you get America. That always cracks up when I tell stories from my hometown. Because every last name, it's like, this really Italian. Yeah, Delgado. Mr. Bertolucci down the street. I bet. That if you are from where L.O.B. is from, if you are not related to somebody that knows somebody in the mob. Connected. I mean, eventually, it's probably six degrees. But I bet you the other thing is, I went to school with a lot of those kids in Chicago, and all of them thought they were connected. And they'd act like they were connected. And there's nothing worse than a guy that's not connected acting like he's connected. Guy with red hair and red eyelashes. Yeah, wearing his freaking windsuit glass. Looks like powder. Yeah, looks like powder. Hey, what are you doing? What are you doing to me? I brought Matt to one of the places that is notoriously run by the mafia back in New Jersey, and he was, like, doing it wrong. You know, like the soup Nazi thing where you step out and he was ordering it wrong. Oh, God. And I was getting so nervous. He didn't get nervous. And the guy goes, hey, hey, and calls him over, and he's like, this guy.
Hey, he looks like my cousin Johnny. Hey, Maria. And he's calling. And I'm like, and they liked him. And they were like, look at this. Now, what does that mean if you order wrong? How do you do that? What would that mean? It's the kind of place where like. You order at the counter, then you go and you get your drink. There's just a way to do it. He was doing it wrong, and he was going up and asking for more stuff out of the way you're supposed to. Oh, God, dude. Let me tell you. When I moved to Rochester, New York, years and years and years ago, I thought I'd gone to a different country because I'd never been to the east. I'd never been back east. And they had a regional food there called White Hots. White Hots are mini hot dogs, but they're actually white. I mean, they're white like milk. They're white like milk, if I remember correct. And they were real popular, and you would go to this place called Shalers, and they would cut them in half. JR, if you're listening, call. They would cut them in half, and they would put them on bread. But then what everybody got with this was these pickles.
And they kept the pickles in a white bucket that is the type of bucket that you see them, like, mop with. Like a bucket from Home Depot. The orange ones, only white. They had three of these things set up on a counter. And there was a big set of tongs in there. Oh, yeah. And I looked at it. And you could tell they'd been there for 100 years. That's what makes them good. And I said, I looked at it, L.O.B., and I was like, I go, what is that? And I went with my friend J.R. who now lives here. And he goes, have you never seen that? I go, no. He goes, this is the pickles. You get the pickles. And I go, why is there three different? You've got your butter, your sweets, and your dill. Whatever you like. I don't like any of it. I don't want. What do you do with it? I go, what do you do with the pickles? I go, do you put them on the sandwich? And he was laughing like... Like you're an idiot. Like, where are you from? It'd be like somebody coming here and going, so a burrito, do you cut it with a knife and a fork? Or do I just... I can grab that with my hands. Right, right. It's so weird. I love... It's one of my favorite things. I've lived in a bunch of different places in the regional stuff, like in the Midwest. The Chicago style hot dog, number one, is... You think it's too busy, but it's good. I do like it. It is good. And they have something... Tell people what it is. It's good. Okay, it's a hot dog. It's on a...
Kaiser. Kaiser bun. It's got tomato wedges. It's got peppers. It's got mustard. And the peppers are real particular. And they're skinny little things. Yeah, they're thin peppers. Like Jay's Wiener. Yeah, like Jay's Wiener. Oh, wow. And what else? Oh, celery salt. You've got to have the celery salt on there. Big player. And it, I mean, it's an acquired taste. You don't have them in Texas, where I came from. But they have a thing in Cincinnati. You ever heard of Skyline Chili? It's spaghetti with chili on it. That's what my parents make, but it's macaroni. It's elbow noodles. Dude, Skyline. That sounds good. Oh, it's freaking good. That sounds real good. They have the pickle bar at Gaglione Brothers. They're from the East Coast. They're from Philly. And they've got locations out here, but they've got the pickle bar. The first time I went there, I was like, oh my. I miss the pickle bar. If she's listening, she knows. There's a place called Big John's out there that has the best. You East Coasters love your pickles, man. It's called Big John. You do. I do. You can love the feast on pickles. Oh, my gosh. There's a place in Chicago called Sark's. Isolate. And when you order a meal one day, let's say you order it on Monday, it could be $14. The next day on Tuesday, you go get the same meal. It could be $8.
Really? The guy used to do, well, Dad, what you get, buddy? He's a Greek guy. Yeah. What do you get? Two sandwiches, a Coke, $12. When I was here yesterday, it was $7. And so you have to know this going in. You'll get the guy, like my dad would do if we went, and be like, where's the prices on the mitt? There's no prices. It's whatever he feels like charging you, and that's what you pay. Your dad wouldn't feel overcharged. Oh, my God. What would your dad do if one day he went, and it was $4, the next day it was $8? He would be like, I was just here. I was just here. It's the reason you came back because it was only four hours. What would Jay do? Holy cow. But that's what makes it so cool. Don't shake your head, Jay. You know it's true. Oh, you know it's true. I wouldn't go there. He would get so, it's so good. There's a place, another deal. I'm just talking a little East Coast stuff here. I've never been there. Talking food. Talking food. But there's a place, what's the market there in Philadelphia that's real well known? Oh, gosh. It's a big place. The Italian market, it's where they did that scene from like. With Nicolas Cage. And it's indoor, right? It's like this gigantic place in Philly. I think it's just called the Italian Market, but I could be wrong. It might be. It smells like feet in there real good, probably. Probably. It smells like salami. Well, here's the deal. There's a place in there that's real famous. And they're famous for, you know, Philly's known for their cheesesteaks. But this place is really known for making pork sandwiches. And apparently they roast it. Pork roll? I think maybe that is what it's called. But they roast it and then they marinate it. So they roast this pork.
take it off and shave it, and then they stick it into this vat of awe juice. And it just sort of simmers in that awe juice overnight. Then they come in the next morning, and they put a big thing of white cheese, and then they put the pork in the roll, and it melts the cheese, and they instantly put it in tinfoil and wrap it up and hand it to you. I'd eat four of them. Oh, dude. My mouth's watering. My mouth's watering. But they say that it's one of, they say, you know, aside from the cheesesteaks. Yeah, get the pork sandwich. And I've always wanted to go and have this thing. And I think people are calling now because they know what it is. Whatever you do, don't order the scrapple. What, the scrapple? Scrapple's like the leftover bits. Is it? From one cheesesteak? No, from a pig. Like a Scrapple sandwich? My mom loves Scrapple, and it's filthy. Yeah. You see it on the menu out there, don't get it. Yeah, and don't they make it with, like, oats? No? I don't know. I've never had it. I'm going to look it up right now. I'm going to look it up. Now's our chance. Let's do it. On Anthem 94.9. Now this needs to go into a playlist for me. Right now? Mm-hmm. Woodsy and I were talking about eruption earlier. Yes. And do we enjoy eruption? It's Van Halen's eruption for the layperson. What year? Woods is there every time.
Wow. Or L.O.B. The vomit. You ever heard this, L.O.B.? I'm just going to throw up. From woods. I was eating a carrot and I almost spit it all over. I got right up on her and started soloing. Wow. Pick throw. It's insane. You must have made a deal with the devil. Seriously. I mean, seriously. Because that's weird. Still gives me chills. I mean, dude, imagine in 1978, you're a guitar player and that record comes out. You're like, forget it. Yeah, you go, well, I mean, what do I do? I read an interview with Alex, the drummer, and Eddie's brother one time. And he goes, oh, dude, we were kids. I was out, you know, chasing skirt, drinking beer. He goes, him in his room, 10 to 12 hours a day playing guitar. That's it. Well, the deal was Alex started out as the guitar player.
Eddie started out as the drummer, and they switched. And once they switched, it was over. That's all he did. He sat in that room and played that guitar. I think if my kid at, like, 14 or 15 really showed some of those chops, even a semblance of those chops, I'd be like, yeah, you're fine. You can stay here and do that. Oh. You can play. Like, I'll homeschool you, and just you play. Dude. If that's what you want to do. If my kid and Rebecca will flip. when she hears me say this. But if I recognize that kind of talent in my... That wasn't creepy. It's a ghost. Even a little bit. It's a ghost. Even a little bit. Oh, my God. Our guitar just fell over. It's a ghost. I'm going to hang her up. Oh, gosh. That was freaking weird. Holy cow. We're talking about guitar. Ben's room or Luke's room or Jake's room. Other thing that I think is really remarkable about it is that he did it. And then he was able to do it again. And again. And again. And better. Yeah. What freaks me out is that originally he did that. Like, he made all that up. And then he was like, all right, now I'll do it again. Like, that's just. Let me write that down. That's a composition. Okay. Probably, it's probably just in his head. In his head. He's one of those guys. Can he still do it? Oh, dude. Probably. Yes. Absolutely. There's no doubt. There's no doubt. I saw Eddie Van Halen play.
seven years ago. Probably seven years ago. But he was touring four years ago? Yeah. You know? He might not be as nimble anymore. I mean, you know, we're going to get on the Facebook, oh, but you haven't heard this guy. Listen, Eddie wrote the book. Eddie wrote the book on that kind of guitar playing. He wrote the book. I know, and there's a lot of names of people, and all these, I know, I know. Tracy Chapman. Tracy Chapman, of course. That old standby. Melissa Etheridge, you know, I mean, they're going to throw these names out there. Bonnie Raitt. Bonnie Raitt. Taylor Swift, you know, that can just shred. But, Eddie. Different star. He wrote the book. He wrote the book. A Mikey Show on FM 94.9. This fall, Warren Miller's Like There's No Tomorrow will bring you on a global tour of the perfect winter. What's his wife, Jamie? Whenever she texts him, he will only respond with lines from the movie The Town. Oh, my God. I would kill you. So, for example, if she says, I am so stressed. There goes college soccer. She doesn't like it. It makes her... It makes her nuts. You are a crime stopper. Figure the F out. You say that? I text it to her. Oh, my gosh. She'll say, I'm sitting in traffic. And what do you say? I say, there goes college soccer. Whose cow are we going to take? Oh, my gosh. It makes her... She's like, talk to me. She's like, no, okay. Great. You're really funny. Send it back. Wait, what's the smell when I tell her? You aren't telling me S is what I'll tell her. I'll text her back. Hey, you came from the same neighborhood that I did. We grew up here. Oh, gosh. I would kill you. She loses her mind. I would laugh like once and then be like, okay, babe. Seriously, I'm stressed. That's when you keep going.
That's when you keep pushing the envelope. Oh, it's funny. It's funny. Socks got rocked. Oh, my gosh. Last person to rub the socks like this was Jack Clark. I get them all, dude. And she's trying to tell you about her day. She's trying to vent. Yeah, she wants to vent. That's what husbands and wives are there for. And I'm doing the town. You got yourself, didn't you, there, lady? No! I was speaking from her perspective. Oh, she hates it. Which makes me love it. Oh, it's hysterical. She doesn't get too mad about stuff, so she's like, oh boy, with you, you're such a clown. You're not on the air. Oh, man. Try it, guys. It works. No. What did I... I did something... I said something to Rebecca the other day. Because she... Very rarely is she wrong. Because she's smarter than I am. And very rarely is she wrong. I know the feeling. Oh, wow. These are the comedy jokes here. That's right. So she was talking about, oh, I know what it was. I was talking about trading my car. Right. And she said something like, are you sure you want to do that? And it was like lighting a rocket ship on fire. And I go, what? And she goes, yeah, hard tea. What? What?
And she goes, well, it's you just you there's a new car you like every week. And I go, yes, yes, that's true. But this one is, you know, blah, blah, blah. Well, the disconnect was she didn't realize I was talking about a used car. And so she keeps thinking, you know, we're having money. Yeah. And we're having an argument about something that doesn't exist. Because she thinks it's new, and I know it's not. And finally we realize, it's not new. And she goes, oh, it isn't? And now I know I got her. It's like when, in slow motion, the cheetah is chasing the antelope, and it comes up behind the antelope, and it does a swipe with its paw, and it just...
barely gets the antelope, but then the antelope gets its tracking, its footing again, and it starts going, and the cheat is back after it. And I, when she realized it was used, I got the antelope off of its feet, and I... And she knew, because it doesn't happen very often. It's always me. I'm always the egg on the face. I am always. It's always me that goes, oh, it's not, oh. Oh. You guys don't like having your bubbles burst. Unlike all the people that love it. Yes. You guys get your bubbles burst very easily. It's true. I mean, well, we're stupid. We walk into stuff. We walk into stuff all the time. Yeah. So I figured, you know, she goes, oh, it's used. I didn't know that. And I go, you know.
Zip your lip. Maybe ask. Maybe ask me instead of just assuming. Wouldn't it be haunted? Now you just freaked me out. I hadn't thought of that. The car's haunted. What if a sex pervert drove it? What if the guy used to go to war in there? You never know. It's been detailed. It's been detailed. If you're comfortable in a car that somebody used to go to war in, then that's fine. I am. I drive it around. I'm sure people have done plenty of gross stuff in my car. You know what I'm talking about? Hell, I don't like old hotels. They freak me out. I don't like houses. I don't like old houses. They scare me. They make me think that they're haunted. And so they just got me because I was talking about getting a used car and Wood said it's haunted. We had a ghost in our last house. See? I was convinced that it was a ghost. And I would talk to it. Because we would... Scare me. We would be... The house was built in the late 60s. And there was... The people we bought it from, the woman, was in deteriorating health when we bought it from them. Creepy. And elderly. And, you know, we'd maybe live there like a year and a half. And we'd be watching TV. And the...
volume knob on our receiver would start to turn and turn all the way up and i would take the remote and turn it down and about a couple minutes later it would turn all the way up again sometimes it turned itself all the way down i'm getting goosebumps talking about it happened it happened like you know Once a month, maybe. And I would just say, hey, we love your house. We're so happy to be here. And we are so grateful. And we're going to take good care of your home that you lived in for so long. Oh, yeah. I would talk to her. And we just moved. And we have set up our receiver and everything in our new house. And it hasn't happened since we moved. I mean, it was serious. And you could see, so it was, you know, had the digital readout of the number of items. So it would go 41, 42, 43, 44, 45. You could watch it turning up. I would be doing burnouts in the driveway. I just took, like, deep breaths. And I was like, okay, we come in peace. And then you hear. It's the greatest.
Eddie Murphy bit ever. He says, only white people will stay in a house. He goes, if a black guy's in there, they're here. Okay. You just keep my stuff. This is the greatest. Yeah, you just keep my stuff in. Oh, my God. It's the scariest. What was that? That is the creepiest stuff, man. What was that? Well, hopefully your car's not haunted. Cars can't be haunted, can't they? Christine. Christine. Hello. Christine. The movie scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid. So, all right. We got to everything. Everybody have a fun time. Woodsy is going to celebrate with his family. Yes. Back in Texas. Heading to the aeropuerto now. There you go. Hey, L.O.B., real quick. Yes. Your cat story was pretty funny. Oh, yes. I saw a woman bring a cat into the post office yesterday. Oh. Well, it was a seeing eye cat, so you can't really. She's holding it like a baby. She what? She's holding it like a baby. It's okay. Is it? Yeah. To hold a cat like a baby? I'd say. It's okay to hold it like that, but why? Wouldn't a cat rather be down around the house? Yeah. She's loving on it. It's her baby. I had to say. Do not provide milk or wool or meat. I had to say goodbye to mine this morning. I almost cried. Cats are different than dogs. I know.
Still. It's her baby. What was she doing? Like having a bassinet? A caddy Bjorn.
