The episode featured a mix of holiday‑themed bits and serious news: the crew laughed about a badly sung "Oh Holy Night" that became a seasonal staple, then Woods reported American Airlines’ Chapter 11 filing. They aired a disturbing tape from the Syracuse Bernie Fine molestation case and criticized ESPN for sitting on the evidence, discussed a Walmart Black Friday pepper‑spray incident, and heard Jay brag about removing his own stitches to save money. Later, the hosts debated whether a trip from an ex obligates sex, planned a White Elephant gift exchange, and finished by dissecting Rolling Stone’s greatest guitarist list, offering their own opinions and favorite players.
What happened, in order
Oh Holy Night Butchered
Mikey and the crew laugh about a hilariously off‑key rendition of "Oh Holy Night" that becomes a recurring holiday bit after Thanksgiving.
American Airlines Chapter 11
Woods breaks the news that AMR Corp., parent of American Airlines, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, explaining it as a temporary reorganization that lets the airline keep operating.
Syracuse Bernie Fine Allegations
The show plays a disturbing tape of Lori Fine discussing her husband Bernie Fine’s alleged molestation of ball boys and reveals ESPN had the tape since 2005 but did nothing.
Walmart Black Friday Pepper Spray
Details emerge of a woman who pepper‑sprayed shoppers at a Walmart on Black Friday, injuring at least 20 people, sparking a heated discussion about holiday sales chaos.
Jay’s Self‑Stitch Removal
Jay proudly describes cutting out his own surgical stitches with scissors to avoid a $30 copay, prompting disgust and jokes from the hosts.
Ex‑Trip Sex Expectations Debate
Mikey, Woods, Lauren and Jay argue whether accepting a trip from an ex implies an obligation to have sex, highlighting contrasting male and female perspectives.
White Elephant Gift Planning
The crew talks about organizing a White Elephant exchange, explaining the steal‑once rule and needing a theme for the year’s holiday gift game.
Rolling Stone Greatest Guitarist List
The hosts react to Rolling Stone’s top 10 guitarists, debating placements, sharing personal favorites like Eddie Van Halen and Chuck Berry, and naming honorable mentions.

Is it? There's a resonance in it that I just, that I admire. What? The Sobel? What was it? What is that? A Sobel? What's a Sobel? It's the first time he's ever heard this song. When he sang it. From the diaphragm. Yes. Get up there. Sit up straight. Get up there. Have it. Take it. Take it down. Wipe your tears. Wipe your tears. Wipe your tears and then.
Take a sip of water. This is where you tell everybody, prepare for landing. Oh, maybe not. Harness. Bring in the seats. Tap the brakes. Tap the brakes. That's too late now. You're committed. Yeah. Oh, there it is. There he goes. Now we... Wheels down. Yeah, wheels down. Now we are coming in and we are just about to touch down. Yes. Just about to touch down. It's a bumpy ride. You know what I love? What? It's how he, after he just completely butchers it, he talks. He says something in there and he's like, holy night. Holy night. Holy night. That's great. That's badass. That was Oh Holy Night. Yes. And it's in season right now. Now, what that means is the Monday after Thanksgiving we start it and we just keep running with it. We just run with that thing. And we will do it until we go on break for Christmas. 570-1949 is our number. If you would like to talk to the lovely Nicole.
You can call right now and get on the air with us. There are four people on The Mikey Show. I'm Mikey. I'm the host. Okay. I am 41. Thank you, Woodsy. I have been running up and down the stairs each day. Have you? Yeah. Run up and down our stairs. You get a sandwich or something? Two steps between the kitchen and the living room. I get it. No, I understand. I mean... Sunk in living room? No, I understand that. You know what? I've earned it. You know, I'll take it. I'll take my stripes. You know what I mean? I mean, you take the good with the bad. But I have been running up and down our stair. Why not just go to a gym with me after work? Like, it's right down the street. Just come with me. Walk around the neighborhood. What are you running up the stairs for? It's a good idea. Just come with me. I was thinking about it yesterday. You know what? Maybe I will. Do it. You both won't get a workout that way. Yeah, you guys just do voices. No. We'll hang out. I'll have my iPod in, so will he. Yeah. And we'll be focused. Stop at McDonald's. I'd love to see video of that. Gosh darn, dude. Listen, I just want my friends Lauren O'Brien and Jay Safaris Bell to just say,
Good idea, guys. Great idea. Great idea, guys. Look, I've been burned. Yeah, ever start something and then stop like a week later? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. At least we're trying. Hey, it's not about why this. It's about what's next. All right. Well, you guys are like the chubby boys that cried wolf. That's fair enough. That's accurate, but... Fair enough. Trying again. But what you got to do is every time that wolf howls, you just got to listen to that wolf howling. You got to say, hey, this time, you know, you're not going to cry wolf. Right. Pull me once. Well, I don't know how many adages we could fit into this, but I'm just telling you, me and Woods, we want to lose some weight. Yeah, I have to. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him work out. Yeah, it's fair enough. I was home over Thanksgiving. I saw my brother who's been doing P90X. Guy looks freaking great. Does he? Freaking great. He's lost, I don't know. 40 pounds. He's solid muscle. How about M1 Cole? That guy comes in here. Yeah. He looks so good. M1DC. M1DC, dude. He looks so good. And I'm like, and I was thinking about it the other day. That guy's lost, what, 60? 60 pounds. He looks like freaking Bradley Cooper now. It's killing me. Like, do you have a boyfriend? Oh, God. I look at that guy and I go, if I were to lose 60 pounds. Oh, yeah.
I would enjoy what I saw in the mirror. Absolutely. I really would. We all would. What would he have? Jay would have nothing. I know, Jay. Jay. 60 pounds. Jay. Come on. What would have... Haley's comment. Come on, man. Give me a break. You know, the chances of a 14.4 earthquake, I mean... Pretty slam. Pretty slam. I mean... Like me. Yeah. Matt, you and Woods doing that? This is like theoretical. It's like chaos theory. Chaos math. You know, you can't put two eighths on a corner. L.O.B. is she is my friend. She is our assistant producer. But for some weird reason. She finds Mike Humor the funniest. Yes, very much. And when she laughs at it, for some reason, it cuts deeper. Serrated knife. It's so genuine. It's so genuine. It's so realistic. It's so authentic. It's a good time. That when it happens, I know she's delighted. Tickled. Yes. Yes. And it cuts a little deeper. Jay is our producer. He's 48.
And the only way to describe Jay, if you're a new listener, is he's something else. Something. He's something else, this guy. A pervert. He's a sex pervert, but there's also something else about him I want you to know. And we need to make a deal out of Nicole, I've decided. A bigger deal. Oh, yeah. Because if we're a show, and come here, Nicole, come here. If we're a show that is focused on men between 18 and 34, it's the same thing with L.O.B. when men saw what L.O.B. looked like, I mean, it was one thing where they go, oh, L.O.B. is the funniest chick I've ever met. And then they see her and they go, oh, wow. Look at that. Not too shabby. Same thing with Nicole. And we haven't made a deal out of it. We have a very...
beautiful blonde, and we have a very beautiful brunette. You guys should kiss. What? Why not? That is so awful. It's just for fun. It's just for radio. It's just for radio. You guys realize she knows where the HR door is. Oh, my gosh. Oh, it's just fun. Just fun with the HR. That is the woman I'm sexually attracted to. Nicole, you're how old? You got to talk right into the, you have to be one karate chop away like this. Okay, how old are you? 19. 19 years of age. And were you a fan of the Mikey Show before you started to work with us? I didn't necessarily get up that early, but... Yeah, I understand. How have you been dealing with getting up this early? I'm getting used to it. It's not too bad anymore. Would you be okay with us showing our listeners, just taking a picture of you, putting it on our fan page so people can see what you look like? What would you want in your stocking? Oh, wow. All right, we're going to have you go screen phone calls. Thank you. Gosh darn it. Thank you. Merry Christmas. Oh, gosh. It's open season. It is open season. One of my favorite names. Oh, my God. If you're wondering what that is, we started the season yesterday. It's called the Mikey Show Unspeakables. We're not allowed to talk about these things except the Monday after Thanksgiving all the way till we take a Christmas break. And what they are is for Woods.
How he changed his voice when he interviewed a girl named Taylor. Hey, what's your name? Are we going to do this right now? Taylor. Clearly. One of my favorite names. What do you want for Christmas this year? Be honest. Be honest. Be honest. Be honest, Taylor. Tay-Tay. You know what, Tay? Be honest or I'll know. I'll know Tay-Tay. I'll be able to sniff out if you're not telling the truth. Don't be naughty. Be nice. I have a few. You have a few boyfriends. What are you... Buffins. Buffins. Buffins. It's pronounced... Buffins. You have a few buffins. You want another? In the history... I mean, and I'm talking since... Ever. Since Marconi. Oh, God. Since Marconi came up with this idea called radio. There has never been an interview aired where a man... has transformed more than Woods transformed. Because let me tell you something. I love it so much. This is the way Woods, Woods is regular registers right here. And when he interviews guys, you go, hey, how you doing? Let me ask a couple questions, all right, bro? You're right. But when he interviews a young woman at the height of Twilight's success, where, you know, maybe it's, yeah.
I'm going to ask your few boyfriends first. Oh, God. You're sparkling in the sunshine. Well, the one in Australia, I want a kangaroo, but he thinks I'm joking. Woods. What? I wouldn't have made fun of it had she not wanted a kangaroo. For Christmas. But because she did, you should be ashamed of yourself. Me? She wants a kangaroo for Christmas. Hey, she's 21 years old, all right? She cuts her own food real good. Was? Yeah, she was. She? Yes. But you really want a kangaroo. A kangaroo. Oh, God. A kangaroo. I can't do this. Kangaroo. The next three weeks. Kangaroo. Kangaroo. What about from your American boyfriend? I want a shopping spree. A whole spree. Just FYI, my wife is really uncomfortable. Don't give us that. We had a long talk about it last year. So was my wife when she had to listen.
Well, how in love I used to. Your wife is used to this. You've got to give my wife Jamie a little time. What about my boyfriend, who I'm not yet married to, where I just put that song out there that was supposed to be just for him. Oh, your sexy little song. How do you think he feels about that? He probably loves it. It was supposed to be just for him. How do you think Jay's daughter feels? Well, that one. Knowing that he, from a distance. From a distance, saw a photograph of her and was turned on and then came into the room and realized, oh, that's my daughter, and he was disgusted at himself. Stop it. I'm almost seen. Like, do you have a boyfriend? Oh, God. Stop there. Have a Merry Christmas. Oh, my God, I hate you. There's the woman I'm sexually attracted to. It's your daughter. Hey, it's disgusting. She's a beautiful girl. From a distance. Wow. I couldn't tell. It was her. All right. So we do have a bunch of stuff to talk about. And, by the way, great prize today for Word of the Day. Word of the Day is curtain. And when you hear me say curtain between now and ten, caller numero nine. I'm going to give you tickets to the Hoot Nanny. Hoot.
And this Saturday, it's going to be at Jenny Craig Pavilion, My Morning Jacket, Two Door Cinema Club, Matt and Kim, Delta Spirit. And tickets are available at FM94.9, SD.com. But we are going to give you a pair today. Bam. Yeah. When you're calling nine for the word of the day. The word of the day again is curtain. Woods has some breaking sports news he's going to give us in just a minute. We have open phones for you right now, 570-1949. You can call about anything you want. This is M1 Cave Dweller from San Diego. Hi. I love you guys, and good morning. Good morning. I love you. How are you? I'm great. Taking my daughter to daycare right now. I just wanted to call and let you guys know that it was absolutely a blast listening to you yesterday. Thank you. Yeah, because it was... You know, we've got to come up with a name for that day. We'll let listeners decide. Yeah, we'll let listeners decide what that day should be called. It felt like the Nuremberg trials is what it felt like. As a matter of fact, if M1s want to come up with a name for that day, go to our Facebook page, facebook.com slash Mikey Show. Go ahead. I can only imagine how much planning goes into every single day of that show.
But it's got to be kind of refreshing knowing that not only do you get to go on Christmas or Thanksgiving break, when you come back, the plan is just basically to embarrass each other. Yeah. Yeah. It was pretty cool. Something to look forward to. And I was, man. I was too. I was petrified of my own. Yes. And having to hear that awful stuff that I wrote, you know. This sappy love letter to a girl that I would never, I would never even hold her hand. I would never, nothing. You know, I was obese when I wrote it. She had, wanted nothing to do with me. And it was the most humiliating thing. Sure. Nothing's changed. It was, it was like another helping. It is. It's leftovers that just taste good all the time. Tastes so good. Yeah, they do. Better reheated. Yeah. Yeah, it is. It gets better. It tastes better. It really does. It sounds like the mine sounds worse in my ears than it did last year, which means it's better for you guys. My goodness. One of my favorite names. Thank you. Thank you for calling. Thank you for calling, Cave Dweller. So American Airlines announced today, Jay is our newsboy.
And he's going to tell us about what happened with American Airlines. Yeah, the AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines, filed for Chapter 11. The company says it will continue normal business. Just need protection. I don't understand. Don't they do Chapter 11 all the time, the airlines? Well, and it's just to protect them from debtors and creditors and things like that. They do like a reorg. Yeah. But they can still keep operating like normal? Absolutely. Happy birthday. Basically reorganizes the whole business. Yeah, it's like 60 days of protection or something. They don't have to pay bills for 60 days? I don't know exactly. I don't know all the details. You're asking the wrong person. Yeah, and there aren't a lot of details offered. This morning it was breaking news right when we got in. You know what I want? I want cheaper prices when they come back. Absolutely. Good luck on that. Come on, man. Fuel cost. Yeah, but you don't have any debt now. It charges less. I want more leg room and I'll pay more for it. They'll have debt when they come back. Yeah. It'll just be this, they get a freeze, basically, on, like, paying their bills. I think a lot of it will be pennies on the dollar, though. Yeah. Yep. This is M1 Veronica from Escondido. Hi, V. Good morning, guys. How are you? Good morning. We're good. Hey, I just want to let you know, O Holy Night is now my ringtone. Yeah. It's a good ringtone. It's on from yesterday, and it'll be on until Christmas. Nice. And then it'll be turned off. That is a good ringtone to have. It is the funniest thing. My boyfriend heard it for the first time last night, and he's like, what in the hell?
Yeah, what is that? That song, and now every time we go to church and we sing Christmas carols and that song comes on, I cannot hear it any other way. Me too. I would die if I heard it. I know. You don't want to laugh, but that's all you're thinking. That's all you're thinking, you know? I can't hear it any other way in my head. I mean, beautiful at church, but in my head, I just hear the guy butchering it, and I try to smile. Thank you. Thank you very much. Have a good day. Love you. Let's see. Woodsy has breaking sports news. Yeah, the Jacksonville Jags have fired their head coach, Jack Del Rio, their longtime head coach. He has been there for a long, long time. He has 68-70 overall record. This year, though, he is 3-8. He's playing a rookie quarterback, but I think he's just kind of worn out his welcome there. And they will actually be playing, the Jags will be playing the Chargers on Monday night, and we will see their new head coach, interim head coach, Mel Tucker. Bricks, pal, and beat it, because you are going out. Yes. He's done. Jack Del Rio, out. Mike, you know, you had the same reaction as Kasim Osgood, who's actually... We gotta talk about it. We gotta talk about it. We gotta talk about it. We gotta talk about it. We gotta talk about it. Something else. Lauren O'Brien, who, by the way, coined the phrase, you're too inquisitive. You're too inquisitive. And you're too inquisitive.
is a great phrase. What it means in Mikey's show lexicon is you've just made a fool of yourself. And she coined it, well, it was coined a long time ago, but the last time it was used was me, the weird. It was at our canned food drive. Yes. We went inside to have something to eat at our canned food drive over at Dave & Buster's. We went inside to have something to eat. It was completely empty in the building. And all of a sudden, all of a sudden, A couple of people walk in, and I stupidly assumed they were there to see us, and I yelled out, Hey, guys! Are you here to give cans? Oh, my God. No response. Just stared at you and then walked out. Yeah, they were just there to have lunch. Yeah, one at a table, get some spinach dip, maybe some quesadillas. And I'm not kidding when I say Lauren laughed so hard she almost peed. I thought she was going to break a rib. Yeah, and she said... And Lauren just started repeating, you're too inquisitive. You're too inquisitive. You're too inquisitive. You're too inquisitive. Well, it bit her back this morning. Yeah, it sure did. Weird. Former San Diego Charger Kasim Osgood tweeted this morning, and it was just one word. What did he say? He was on Facebook, and he wrote, wow, from a mobile device. Yes. And we now know the reason that he did that was because his head coach had just been fired. Yeah, our friend Lauren had written him.
Vague book, question mark? Oh. You know, just to sort of. Yeah, you know, because she saw this and she was like, oh, just vague book and real good. Yeah, vague book. I was like, hey guys, look, Kasim Osgood real well. Yeah. It's like if somebody says on Facebook, they go, yeah, that really pisses me off. I know. And you don't know what they're talking about. They're being very vague. It's called vague book. Vague book. So Lauren reads Kasim Osgood, who's now a Jacksonville Jaguar. She reads it. She goes. Vague booking? Yeah. I deleted it. Now we know. Hopefully when he comes into town, he'll forget that I was the person. We can hope so. Keith is over to die. Well, no. Not at all. Not at all. That's hard. Not at all. Not at all. Thank you. There's also a genius in our midst here in San Diego County. And if you're this person, I want to hear from you. I want to meet you. Please, please, please. There was an ad placed on Craigslist yesterday. And it is for a head coach of the San Diego Chargers. And here's what it says. Looking for a person with head coaching experience? Ideal candidates will have the following skills. NFL coaching experience, 10 plus years. Ability to communicate clearly with management slash players. Ability to delegate offensive, defensive, and special team responsibilities. Good clock management skills. Red zone proficiency. Leadership by example. Ability to win games.
Please send all resumes to San Diego Chargers, P.O. Box 609609, San Diego, California, 92160. You've got to admit, it is pretty clever. Yeah. I laughed so hard. I was like, you're, I was kicking myself. Why didn't you think of this? Why didn't you think of this? Genius. Email him. Yeah, and if the person that did that is listening, you're probably an M1. We would love to hear from you. Call us. If you have not heard. about the new scandal will tell you. And it is a scandal. It's coming out of Syracuse University. And there is audio that goes along with it, but I will caution you now, it is adult in content. Voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Why don't you tell him the whole story? Time to wake up, sir. Call 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com.

He's been there 36 years, works with head coach Jim Boeheim. Now, Fine is 66 years old. He has been charged with molestation of two ball boys. Another gentleman has come out, and his name, his last name is Tomaselli. Now, the weird thing about this guy, he's the third guy to come forward. He is also facing sexual assault charges in Maine involving a 14-year-old boy. This guy's dad says, well, he's lying. Unequivocally, he's lying.
But the first two were ball boys. Bobby Davis is 39 years old now, said that he started getting molested by Bernie Fine in 1984. What you're going to hear is a call between Bobby Davis and Bernie Fine's wife. Her name is Lori Fine. So one of the guys accusing him and... This guy's wife. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, it's Bobby Davis. He's 39 years old. He was a ball boy for six years, and he was the first to come forward about Bernie Fine. Why would he talk to Bernie Fine's wife about it? I'll tell you why. He lived in their home for a while. He also had a sexual relationship with Lori Fine. The wife? The wife, when he was 18. So I'm not sure what clip you have, but the long version I heard said, well, she said, well. Let's listen. You can be honest with me. What do you think? What do you want me to do? What, you want you to grab him? He's trying to make me, so he's trying to make me grab him. I mean, he was like, when at first he grabbed me and they're, you know, touching me. But you never had any oral sex. I think he would want him to. Whoa! Davis, who periodically stayed here at the Fine's former home, beginning in the seventh grade, and at one point had his own room in their basement, says Lori Fine told him she was aware.
that her husband was sexually abusing him. At the time, Davis says he questioned whether anyone would ever believe his story. Yet Lori Fine tells him she's already warned her husband one day his alleged molestation of Davis might become public. So, shocking. So, let everybody know what the deal is now with ESPN. Apparently, ESPN, this is so disturbing to me, they acquired this tape.
In October of 2000, I'm sorry, this was recorded October 2002. They acquired this tape, it says, in 2005. So they've been sitting on this tape. The tape has been given to Syracuse police. They have hired a voice recognition expert to verify it. It is Lori Fine, his wife, on the tape. ESPN knew about this and didn't do anything about it, didn't say anything about it. I think did their own kind of internal investigation on it. And it's just another disgusting, disturbing story. So why would ESPN not report it? Why would ESPN sit on the story? Was it because they thought we're not going to get in the middle of an argument, which is kind of what it you know, this this kid that's coming forward with it. He clearly had a. a motive beyond just telling somebody about what happened. You know what I mean? Otherwise, he would have just gone straight to the police. The fact that he took it to ESPN means that he wanted it to be public, humiliating, blah, blah, blah. Which, hey, man, that's fine. I mean, you can. But I guess...
Maybe ESPN was like, well, we're not going to get in the middle of you. Was that their deal? I have no idea. I don't know what their response is. Bob Lee, who does Outside the Lines, he's been at ESPN forever, has said, I knew nothing about it. I knew nothing. So I don't know who had the tape, but they had it in their possession, you know, 2005. So six, seven years ago. Here's more of Lori Fine. During the call, Lori Fine suggested to Davis what her husband should do. With his need for male companionship. It's insane. Oh my gosh. I mean, listen. That's a woman that's... You can talk about dysfunctional. Well, that's a woman that's accustomed to... The lifestyle? Being Bernie Fiennes' wife and being, you know, king-ass of Syracuse. Well, even aside from that, it's just an old-school mentality. Yeah, yeah. You stay together. And this, well, I don't know that it's necessarily an old-school mentality of you stay together. We'll stay together no matter what. No, that, hey, everybody's entitled their opinion. And I get it. My deal hearing it is the old-school mentality of like, well, we don't talk about.
you know, horrible things. We sweep it into the rug. And I also believe what Woods is saying is that she was like, hey, I got a lifestyle. Yeah, Bernie finds why. I mean, in Syracuse, the Syracuse basketball team, you're the big fish in a small pond, much like Happy Valley. Syracuse. She doesn't strike me as a woman that... is all about traditional family values and staying with it no matter what. Because she slept with this kid. She's not exactly a traditional family value type of lady. She's sleeping with the kid. But that generation is all about what the neighbors see. Not necessarily what goes on under the roof, but what people believe. Yeah, appearances. This is very disturbing. Jim Boeheim has been the coach of Syracuse for a long time and is a very well-respected coach. When these accusations came out, his quote was this. The Penn State thing came out and the kid behind this is trying to get money. He's tried before and now he's trying again. If he gets this, he's going to sue the university and Bernie. What do you think is going to happen at Penn State? You know how much money is going to be involved? About 50 million. That's what this is about, money. Okay. Then he heard the tape and he said, oops, my bad. My bad. Yeah. I fully support them firing Bernie. I was deeply disturbed and deeply troubled by this. And by the way, let's say that it is about money.
Oh, well. Okay. Oh, well. Is the guy not entitled to money? Hey, man. You know what I mean? Whoever had that at ESPN should be under the same scrutiny. There's no question. There's no question. Yeah. I mean, if you buried this, if you buried this story for fear of getting involved, it's weak. It's crazy. This is what I, this is what, you know, last week, I, you know, when we were talking about the thing with Sandusky, you know, I suggested that is there something strange in human, or, you know, in our psyche. Well, I think there is, man. I mean, and it's been proved a million times. They've done, I've seen, you know, 60-minute reports of them faking somebody getting mugged in New York City and people walking right by. You know, I mean, it's just, it's something in us. Some people are innate protectors and some people aren't. And they just don't want to be involved. They have their blinders on. They're like, I can only worry about me. I can only worry about me.
Yeah, it's a psychological thing. It's one of these deals. Did you ever see the movie No Country for Old Men? Absolutely. Who's the guy that plays the sheriff? It's Tommy Lee Jones. Tommy Lee Jones. There's a great scene in that movie where they're sitting in a diner. And one of the guys is reading from the newspaper. It's his deputy. And he reads this horrific story. I mean, it's this horrific story in the newspaper, and he reads it out loud, and it's terrible, and he goes, huh, and he kind of does this little laugh. Tommy Lee Jones says to him, it's all right. You don't have to be embarrassed about laughing. He said something that we do when we hear something terrible. It's like a human thing. It's like a reaction. It's like a reaction. You hear something really awful, and you'll go, huh. comforting you soothing you because it trips you out so bad it trips you out so bad that uh it's the same reason that people are able to have tattoos it hurts but your body produces this endorphin that you know is a self uh soother or whatever yeah but it is a it's a weird thing man and at espn they're really under a lot of scrutiny about it yeah i did some uh some reading last night on deadspin and you know they're deadspin.com is great about getting really
information that not everybody sees. And of course, you go to ESPN.com, you're not going to find all that. But there's in-depth interviews with people from ESPN. Really? Yeah, it's crazy. It's a disgusting story. I mean, what the hell's going on in college sports? You know what I mean? By the way, the guy that's accused in the Michael Jackson deal, Conrad Murray, he's going to be sentenced today. And then... Also, the guy that is claiming to be the father in the Bieber thing. Mariah Yader. Yeah, Mariah Yader. Lives here in San Diego and says she got it on with Justin Bieber and he knocked her up. Well, apparently there's some dude that says, no, no, no. I'm the baby's daddy. Robert Powell, 23. All right. Lakeside. What about him? What's his deal? He was arrested. Drug possession and drug paraphernalia. And he is not, he can't get Bell, so he must be a bad dude. What's Bell? What's Bell? B-A-I-L, Bell. Okay, he cannot post it. Yep. He can't post what? Bell. Got it. There it is. Now. He also says that he will take a DNA test to prove it, and he was told by Yader, which is the baby's mama, that she is desperate for money and will do anything to get it.
Simple paternity test, right? Yep. DNA. When are they going to do this? People are insane. People are crazy. Crazy. All right, let's play buzzword. 570. Just like that. 194.9. All right, the way that we play buzzword is you've got to call and pick me, Woods, or L-O-B. The best. You've got to pick me, Woods, or L-O-B. L-O-B, the greatest in the game. I mean, Hall of Fame, never has there been a player that has been as dominant. As LLB. In fact, she guarantees a win today. She absolutely guarantees. She says, without a shadow of a doubt, she will win today. Yep. Don't be scared. That's badass. She's Joe Namath of Buzzword. That's right. We're trying to get her. It's the best reference you got. We're trying to get into her head. We're trying to, in any way that we can, we're trying to throw her off her game. Because she wins a lot. All the time, really. Yeah.
570-1949. What's the prize, Jay? The prize is a pair of tickets to see Warren Miller's new movie, There's No Tomorrow, Saturday, December 3rd, at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Arts. 570-1949. Me, Woods, or LOB will represent you. First, M1, Josh. Are you there, Josh, from Fallbrook? I'm here. Who do you want? I guess I'm going with Woods. You're going with Woods. Hang on the line, please. He guesses he's going with you. I guess I'm going. You called for Woods. M1, let's see. We got... Who is this? Sorry. Who's this? Who do I have on the line? You can't hear me. L-O. Mikey Show, who's this? M1 Heavy D. Too late for buzzword? No, you're in. You're in. But Woods has been taken, so you have to pick me or L-O-B. Me. Yeah, that's right. Heavy D. Mikey Show, who's this? M1 Sean fan. M1 Sean fan. You've got me hanging the line. All right, let's do this the way that we do it. Jay's going to give us a word. Then he's going to give us a clue that will have the word in it. We've got to shout out the answer when we know it. Shout it out loud. Shout it. Let's do it. Here we go. What is the word? What's the word, Jay? The word is party. P-A-R-T-Y. Got it. Party. Got it. In-home cell.
Of food? Coverware party! Avon party. Oh, gosh. You're weird that you said the Avon party. Mary Kay party. Mary Kay. Yeah. All right, here we go. Jenny Craig party. Nah, that's more like it. Phone connection with many... Party line! Party line! Yep. Woods. Dang it, dang it, dang it. Hats and horns. Surprise party! Birthday party. Birthday party. Hats and horns. Party gear. New Year's Eve party. Party supplies. Hats and horns. Party favors. Party favors. Those aren't favors. Come on. Those aren't favors. They are. It's like a goodie bag of favors. When you walk in the door, they hand you one of those. What are those called anyway? Party favors. Those things that unravel. What are those things called? What are those things? Don't know. Party whistle. Here we go.
A celebration of the date you were born. TV drama. Are you kidding me? The Sons of Liberty protest of British taxes. How does he do that? Kids on fire today. I'll get hosed. Stop it. No question. I'm going to make sure of that. Center of attention. He speaks Jay. This is the problem. We're from Texas. Let's see here. Different word. It and I'll cry if I want to. It's my party. L-O-B. Speaking of crying. Hide until the guest of honor. Sorry, sorry. L-O-B. Both President Bush belong. Republican party. GOP party. It's Republican party, but I'm just going to be all by yourself. Yes. Got a new word. Thank goodness. And the new word is light. Light.
Let's see here. A traffic signal. Here we go. What score, Ella B? It's Mikey zero, Lauren two, Woods nine. This is an 18 pointer. So these are a couple of five pointers. Why don't we just play like seven words? Here we go. Debbie Boone's only hit. You light up my life. Mikey. This is a what pointer? That was a five pointer. Oh, five, I'm sorry. That was a five pointer. This is the last one? This is it. Oh, God. Illuminated toy. Lighthouse. With colorful translucent pegs. Light bright. Oh, that was a tie. Both of you guys. I did. I win. Didn't matter. Dang it. Yeah. Finally. Holy cow. You're off the schneid, pal. No doubt. Had to get 70 right. Cars racing. Cars racing. Cars racing. M1 Josh. Woodsy brought it home for you, pal. Enjoy it. Hang on the line. Laser focused. There is no game I'm worse at. I mean, where is L.O.B.? She's crawling around the floor. I got a disadvantage because I keep score. I think Woods should have to keep score next time. He'll still blaze. Done. And win. How does your mind do that? I don't know. Some days I'm on, some days I'm off.
Today I was on. You always are good at those. Listen. Whatever that thing is, I do not have that. That thing that makes it thingy. I'll tell you what I do love. That Costco sells a $25 almost indestructible remote control helicopter that my brother bought for my son. And I love it. It's a small helicopter. Jay, you would love this. Oh, I have it. You do? With the twin blades? Yeah. Yeah, I've got three of them. From Costco? Yeah. Weird. My brother Steve brought it and he kind of got irritated at me that I wouldn't take it up as a hobby. Helicoptering? Yeah, dude. I mean it genuinely. I'm not saying that like as an exaggeration. He said, the first thing he said was, I don't know whether you should thank me or be angry at me because once you play with this thing, you're going to want a bigger one. That's.
And I thought to myself, no, I'm not. But, you know, I was happy to have it. So he did this thing with Jake and Jake had so much fun. Oh, yeah. So the next day, my brother Steve said to me, so what do you think of that thing? I go, that's cool. He goes, would you want to get a bigger one? And I said, no. And he just looked at me. He looked at me like I turned into a zebra. Do not take it outside. Why? Mine takes off. Like, it catches the small. Mine's for indoor use. Maybe we don't have this. But I took it outside. I took it outside to just try to fly it. And the small one just... And then when it catches it, it just goes. You never see it again. I'm glad you said that. I'm very glad you said that. But... I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. He says, you don't want to get a bigger one? I said, no. I mean, no. It's not really my thing.
For me either. It's for Jake. And he goes, yeah, but you said you had fun. Yeah, I did. I just don't want to take it up as a hobby. That's the only hobby you don't have. I would love. We've talked about getting a big one a number of times. Because it's just too much fun. See, Jay likes it. I think it would be awesome. Breaking news is they just found a panga boat full of illegal aliens. Mikey. Mikey. We will be following it on NBC7 News at noon today. And you can also go on our website, NBCSanDiego.com, for this latest development. We'll be following it through the day. How do they think they're going to get into a boat and just cruise it over to America? You can't. It's under the radar, real good. Well, it's not very under the radar. They were probably hoping to make landfall before the sun came up. Yeah. They just abandoned the boat. Yeah. It happens, man. If it didn't happen. I wouldn't be here today. My parents or my grandparents were illegals. I hope I'm allowed to say that. Wow. Yeah. 570-1949. You got to be careful out there in that water. You just get spit right out of them. Dude, you get the best barrels ever, dude. Shippah. Shippah. There you go. Thank you. I don't think they were looking for barrels out there. I don't either. L.O.B.? Yes. Second time in your life.
Group of boys at least 10 years younger than you asked you, are you Wendy Peffercorn? Mm-hmm. That's an actress from The Sandlot, like a character? The character's name, yes. Wendy Peffercorn. Brilliant. She was the lifeguard that the little boys had a crush on. Really? Mm-hmm. Very foxy. How does that make you feel? The first time it happened, I was just like, what? That was so random. And the second time it happened, I was like... Still got it. Yeah. I said yes to them. You did? Yeah. I put my sunglasses down and I winked at them and I said yes. She does look like Wendy Peffercorn. I gotta see it. Minus the boobs someone on Facebook said. Oh. Now that's not very nice. Nope. Hey listen. What she doesn't have there she makes up with with other talents. Do you know what I mean? Oh man. Just drive it home. Yep.

They're saying the training camp is supposed to open December 9th, and the first game will be on Christmas Day. So we will look forward to that. Also, last night, if you missed Monday Night Football, you missed an absolutely phenomenal performance by Drew Brees. 363 yards and four touchdowns. Four touchdown passes. And a rushing touchdown for that guy last night. And the Saints demolished the New York football Giants 49-24. Oh, wow. Wow. Nice night. Ladies and gentlemen, it's the Black Keys. So, as I was telling you, a woman decided that she was going to use some pepper spray. But before I do that, Mikey Show, who's this? Paco. Paco. Paco. What was the word of the day?
That is correct, my friend. All right. You just got yourself tickets to the Holiday Hoot Nanny. My Morning Jacket, Two Door Cinema Club, Matt and Kim, and Delta Spirit. And it's going to be this weekend. It's at the USD at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. And by the way, if people want to buy tickets, you can still do that. FM949SD.com. Hang on the line, okay? All right. Thanks a lot. All right, man. Okay, so Black Friday. By the way. I want to try to find out, if you can, Jay, research and see how did Cyber Monday go? Yesterday was Cyber Monday, which is the day where there is massive deals online. And I do know this. I know our economy got a boost from it. Of course. Our economy got a huge boost from it. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was way up yesterday because of something like Cyber Monday. All these sales, people going on there to take advantage. You can really get some cool stuff at some real discounted prices. But anyway, so this is from CBS Los Angeles. Listen to this. Panic at Walmart when somebody douses shoppers with pepper spray. And tonight we've got a description of the wanted woman.
who caused this chemical chaos. At least 20 people are recovering from that pepper spray attack, and no one who was there will ever forget it. The pushing, the shoving, and the fear as the crowd panicked after a woman unleashed that pepper spray on shoppers right after Walmart opened. CBS 2's Serene Branson is at the Walmart in Porter Ranch tonight with more on the attack and the search for that suspect. In cell phone video, you will only see here. You can see the crush of people and chaos at the Porter Ranch Walmart. It was just after doors opened at 10 o'clock last night as employees removed Xbox games from packaging. They started unwrapping everything, and just as they started to unwrap everything, all hell broke loose. Investigators then say a woman pepper sprayed her fellow shoppers, injuring at least 10, including children. Another 10 were hurt in the scuffle. I feel so bad for the employee. It was a burning feeling in the throat for me. There was a lot of people who got it in their eyes, so they were burning, they were screaming. I had my scarf the whole time, just coughing. Question. Now, was this lady, do we think, we're just taking guess here, was she like, I want to be the first, or was she doing this to protest people?
buying and being consumers and shopping at Walmart. They actually caught her, but after she had purchased an Xbox. She wanted an Xbox. That's what her deal was. That was her deal. She wanted an Xbox. People be crazy. People be crazy. People be crazy. If they're going to continue Black Friday sales, I think the cops should enforce the no loitering around the stores. You shouldn't be allowed to line up. You shouldn't be allowed to be in the masses like that. No, you should just show up like a regular person. It's out of control. Okay, how about this, LOB? What about this? What if they say to themselves, what if the individual stores, this is what they are told by law enforcement. You're going to make some dough here, so you've got to provide security. Yeah. Something. It's just out of control. Lots of security. Pepper, spray. And these poor employees. Yeah. You know, they're just trying to mind their own business. Cyber Monday was up 20% from last year and is expected to exceed $1 billion. Sweet. That is good for the economy. Yeah, temporary spike. Doesn't mean anything. No, it's good, L.O.B. No, it doesn't mean anything. It'll take us out of the... False hope. Come on. Downer, Debbie. This is Uncle Victor Fudge. Don't pepper spray people at Walmart.
What's the matter with you anyway? I mean, what are you doing this for a box of freaking shampoo? Leave each other alone. Your mother thought you're better than me. You're making a spectacle of yourself. You ever hear the internet? Freaking stupid. You can shop on the internet for crying out loud. They should seriously stop these Black Friday sales. Maybe they can do a lottery or something. I'm fine if they provide security. And these are rare. Are they? It's getting to be a little crazier this year for sure. They're not that rare. It gets crazier every year. People are out of control. People like savings, man. They love savings. Well, they're desperate. You know, they're broke. Yeah. If they're going to go out and get something, you know. But I think Woods is on to something. Some people will. They'll fight you for savings. For $4, you know. My mom got into a fist fight over my cabbage patch doll. Oh, my God. Are you kidding me? When I was a kid. Fist fight? You have never told this story. Well, I don't know if you. I mean, it was ladies slapping at each other. Yes. You know. But they got into it. Oh, yeah. Terrence.
My Cabbage Patch doll. Okay, Terrence? Yep. Hang on. Everybody needs to just hang on. Did you request Terrence? No, I was a little kid. And it was when Cabbage Patch dolls were all the rage. How old were you? Five, maybe. And so you didn't have a preference. You just wanted one. I just wanted a Cabbage Patch doll. Were you stoked with Terrence? Yeah. He was redheaded. I wish that he was blonde. I did that with Papa. I wanted him to look more like my son. So you didn't ask for a particular one and get Terrence. I think the redheaded one was one of the last ones left. Hence the fight. I still have a question. Yes. We have not got to the bottom of my question. Okay. My question is. Did you request a Cabbage Patch doll and not get it and get Terrence? Or did you just want a Cabbage Patch doll and you didn't care what it was? I didn't care what it was. You didn't care. And they come with birth certificates. So his name was Terrence, which is also my dad's name. So it was, you can imagine, confusing for a child. Yes. Very. Oh, my gosh. I remember that Cabbage Patch thing. Oh, yeah. Oh, people were into the Cabbage Patch. Signature on the butt. Yep. Yeah.
In fact, the last one that I can even remember being that big was the Tickle Me Elmo. Yeah. I remember that when Tickle Me Elmo first came out, there was a big thing about that. But I don't know that that exists anymore, that there's a It toy. There's an It toy, but they've increased production, so it's not as in demand. It's supposed to be another Elmo this year. I don't remember which Elmo it is, but I saw it. Somebody tell us. If you know what the It toy is this year. What is it? And I didn't, maybe it's because I just am not paying attention, but I didn't know there was one every year. I thought that there was a, that when it happens, it's kind of a phenomenon. Like it becomes a phenomenon. Every year there's one. It is? There's one big one. Yeah, so I want to know. Flip out. Well, I mean, my mom said that the Cabbage Patch thing was like the Tickle Me Elmo. She said she hadn't seen it since the Cabbage Patch thing. M1, is it Tomas from La Jolla or Thomas? Tomas. What's going on, dude? Yeah, I was just listening to about the Walmart scandal. Yeah. And it's just getting too crazy. Yeah. It really should stop the Black Friday. So I believe LB's thing, it's getting too much. I mean, three days in advance, staying in front of a store. Yeah, I get it. I just, you know, boy, I think there'd be a lot of upset people. You'd almost, I think you'd almost get more outrage with that. Just do a weekend long sale or something. Why does it have to be? It's just,
Too much. It's ridiculous. My brother's wife works at Walmart on Arrow Drive. Every year it gets worse and worse and worse. People throw things. They talk. It's crazy. At midnight is when they open those doors and I can only imagine the rush. Is it a cattle call? Like they open the doors and people just run in? Do you know, Tomas? I don't know. I never, never go. My girlfriend, she went last year and I told her she's crazy. Don't do it. And she did it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If anybody's listening and they know if they've ever been there, we want to hear from you and we want to know what this thing is like. You know, I bet it's freaky. That's crazy. Yeah. Matt went on Black Friday morning last year, but at like seven something. Did he get what he wanted? He got a flat screen for me, but it was larger than the one that he had actually had his eye on because those sold out early. My dad this year. My dad got himself a gift, and it's a iPad 2. Nice. Now, dad springs for the iPad 2, and then he sees an advertisement at the Navy base. Okay? Now, let me just walk you through this. Don't break my heart, Mike. Check this out. You're going to. Check this out. So, dad sees this ad, and it says that they will compete, you know?
And so it's $80 cheaper. So my dad drives from North County all the way to Coronado. And he goes to the Navy base because he's retired. And he stands in line. And he's in line with my mom and my brother, who's in town from Arizona. And they're there two hours. And they're still not at the thing yet. So my brother, Steve, walks into the store. beach chair and takes it out of the wrapping and walks outside with it and gives it to my mom and lets her sit on it. And then he goes to the manager and he says, hey, my dad was on the Enola Gay. We need to get up here. And they brought him up to the front. Wow. And they gave him his $80 off. My brother, by the way, before telling them that he was on the Enola Gay said to my father,
I'll give you $100 if we can get the hell out of here and go to Denny's. Yeah. And my dad said, no. No, I won't do it. I won't do it. I'm standing in line. And they're taking it. They're taking this $80 off my credit card. And so my brother finally had enough. And he went up to the front and he said, my dad was not needing a Nolan gang. Give him front line. Give him his $80 back. Oh, my gosh. That's balls? That is balls. Steve. It's balls of stuff. Steve, is it balls or is it just weird? See, I'd want to have that on my side. Absolutely. I might act like I'm embarrassed, but I'd be like, he got it good. Not me, man. He skeeves me. He skeeves me. He does things that are so skeevy. I would be like, thank God. Matt's like that. He is? He'll do stuff where I'll be like, I really wish that someone would... Call the waitress over. He'll be like, I'll go get her. Stand up and walk and get her. I'm not that guy. Oh, dude. I'm not. Dude. He was over at the house, and our Hungarian nanny, Nita, is into photography. So she's got a brand new camera. He doesn't ask. He picks the thing up, and he starts, you know. Fiddling. Fiddling. And I go, dude, you've got to ask her. That's her camera.
And he goes, hey, this ain't my first rodeo, pal. Oh, gosh. And I'm like, oh, boy. Holy cow. He's a bull in a china shop. Yes, he is. Yes. That's probably why he and I get along so well. I love the guy. M1, Adrian from Poway, you were at Walmart Black Friday. Showed up at about 30, 7 p.m., like on Thursday. And, you know, there were people, like, showing up. And they had all the Black Friday deals wrapped up in plastic. You know, like not on sale until like midnight. And I loaded up the shopping cart. They let us get stuff. Yeah. And I was chilling, man. Yeah. How long did you wait? We were shopping around the whole time. We waited there until midnight. Yeah. And they locked the doors so they wouldn't let anyone in between like 11 p.m. and midnight. And the store practically got empty.
Which Walmart? It was the one in Poway. There you go. Oh, that was the thing they were advertising, that they weren't shutting their doors, that they were going to be open so you could go do all your shopping. It's a good idea. Yeah. It's a very good idea. Woods got in a little trouble last night. Yep. Weird. You came home. Well, tell everybody what you were supposed to do and what you did do, Woods. I was supposed to get dog food for my dogs. Seven dogs at the house. Yeah. And we needed some dog food. So I stopped on the way. There's a beautiful Petco by the house. And stopped by there and went in, loaded up the big old thing of dog food in the cart. And I made a little stop. You may have got something else. May have gotten a few other things. May have gotten some clothes. Dog clothes. Dog clothes. Yes. L-O-B. Christmas.
Dog club. You are a club. The man that sits next to you and across from me that wears a Yankee cap every day. And he dips snuff. He chews Copenhagen all throughout our program. Yes. That same man bought the following. Oh, boy. Little antlers. Aw. That's so cute. Sweaters that light up. No. Let me say that again. He's got Yorkies. And Malteses. Sweaters that light up in a lab. You almost forgot about the lab. Yeah, well, of course. Did he get a sweater? No. Of course not. He doesn't like them. I wonder what that's... He got antlers. Have a Merry Christmas. The antlers, by the way, stay on for what it says for about two seconds. About two seconds. Why not get one pair and take pictures? It's a good call. Money well spent. Yes. Wife was none too pleased when she grabbed the receipt. I thought I was like, hey, babe, look what I did. Now, she's done it before, but we had a little more dough then. Yeah. She was like, are you out of your freaking mind? She worked all day. She came home, and then there's, that's for like 90 bucks. She's a woman, so that kind of stuff usually calls to her, pulls at her heartstrings. Yes.
Is this the time of year that you do this? Oh, no. Is this the time of year? Is it because it's Christmas time and you go out? All you want to do. For people. All you want to do when you go out is you just want to get some dog food, but you come home with stuff. That's the deal. There's travel. There's all kinds of stuff going on. And you're wasting 90 bucks. Yep. Oh, oh, oh. That's not wasting because they're going to look sweet. Oh, wait a minute. Are they? Let me pull a curtain back. Curtain back on somebody's stitches. Oh, yeah. Because seeing you're cheap, maybe the reason would's that he's not so happy with you because you happen to spend a couple extra bucks on your pets that you love. Yeah, and I like them to be cute. You love them. You want them to be cute? Yeah.
Why don't you tell everyone what you did, Jay? No, don't. So I got something removed from my skin a couple weeks ago, and I was supposed to go in today to get my stitches removed. But I did not want to pay the copay, which was $30. You are the cheapest SOB. So I just removed my own stitches. It's no big deal. That makes me weak. I've removed my stitches many a times. It's just $30. They should do it for free. It should be a drive-thru. You know you're cheap. Yeah. When you're taking out your own stitches. My wife says, what are you, a doctor now? Yeah. Oh, dude. Yeah, I'm a doctor of love. I've removed our kids' stitches many times. You're not a doctor. You're not a physician. They're just stitches. I'm not putting them in. I'm taking them out. This is why you get scars. You're not a doctor. You get scars regardless. No. How'd you do it? It was just a pair of scissors. My grumble. Put them in there and clip them. Just sterilize them? Looks pretty good. Yeah. Well, no.
Oh, God. Dirty scissors. It's not going into the skin. It's just clipping the string and you pull it out. It's my own body. The last thing I used it on was my toenails, so I know I ain't going to... Dude, he cuts his own hair. Yes. He cuts his own hair. He'd milk his own cow if he had one. If he had one. He would. What? I pasteurized my own milk? Is that what we're calling it now? I can pasteurize. I like to milk my own cow. Yeah, only thing that makes me... Same result. Oh, my God. That stopped me right in the train. Oh, my God. It's like hitting the brakes on a train. I'm thoroughly disgusted. I was about to come at him, and he knew it, so he got me with a cattle prod. Yeah. He took his own stitches out. That's disgusting. He looks pretty good. I'll give you 30 bucks. You're a filter. No, no, no. Okay. Come here. Let me see him.
I want to see this. Yeah, let's see the artwork. I want to see your own handiwork. Come here. You're a madman. Looks pretty good. That looks hideous. Well, it looks hideous because they took a chunk of my skin out. Dude, don't take out your own stitch. Everyone should take it out. It should go without saying. It's 101. It's human being 101. Thank you. You go to a doc. I pay $30. If a doctor puts them in, a doctor should take them out. I want to learn how to put in my own stitches. I write my own prescriptions, too. I stole a pad and they just write me whatever I want. If I need Oxycontin or if I need macadam. Yeah, the only problem is that they busted me because I wrote on there, Oxycontin. Oxycontin. Yeah. Every time we go way down into Mexico, we take our own kit with stitches and everything just in case we need to stitch ourselves because there's no coming back. Oh, gosh. What?
You're four hours down or more in Mexico. You need to take a kit, like a medical kit that has stitching. Wait, wait, wait. You can buy a kit? Yeah, you can buy a set of stitches. A kit? Yeah, it's called needle and thread, Mike. That's an emergency kit in Mexico. You live in North County. Well, no, I didn't put them in. I want to learn how to put stitches in. I think I could do it. Hey, Jasper. Fall down, skinny knee. Put some stitches in there. Daddy's got to practice. Yeah. Come here. Can you buy, wait, is that what the kit is actually made for? It's a first aid kit, yeah. It's emergency. No, it's for sewing. He is crazy. Yeah, it's a little hotel thing they give you with a different colored string. I assume that's what it's for. Cheapest guy in the world. In the world. It's true. Oh, by the way. Anybody see over the weekend the people in the Santa suits that were standing on street corners with signs that said, buy more junk? No. No. If anyone knows what that is about, because my brother was in town and he kept saying, what is that? And I go, I don't know if it's like a protest. Weird. It's probably some sort of ironic protest. I think it's supposed to be like a protest. Like, go ahead, buy more junk. If anyone knows what that is.

Your boy gets in the shower and I have very little hair and I have to condition, of course, because it smells so good and it feels so good when you condition. Lauren. When I have to say smart things on the spot, I'm like... And Jay. Please grow up. On FM 94.9. High school when we first met. Hang to Radio 2. We haven't even talked about Herman Cain. The Herman Cain thing.
Another woman came out, said I had an affair with him. Weird. 13-year affair. 13 years. That's insane. Yeah, it's a pretty big deal. He says that they didn't have an affair. He says that it was just a friendship. Although there's cell phone records where there's like 60 calls going in and out. He says that Kane says that there was no proof of it whatsoever. He says this is all BS, basically. Her name is Ginger White. She was on... Television talking about it. Take a listen to this. I'm not proud. I didn't want to come out with this. I did not. Ginger White was worried a political tsunami was headed her way. So she decided to head it off by confessing she was involved in a nearly 14-year-long affair with presidential hopeful Herman Cain. It was pretty simple. It wasn't complicated. And I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware that I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship. So the obvious question is, why are you saying it now? She says she was not surprised by the allegations, but was bothered by the way Cain fought back, attacking the women, including this appearance on Late Show with David Letterman. All of these women are lying. They're all lying. They are all lying. Yes, they are. Dave.
Dave. Yeah. Come on, bro. You might not want to go after Herman Cain so bad on messing around. But he came out and admitted to it. No, he didn't. So it makes it okay. No, Dave didn't come out and admit to it. He talked about it on his show after he got caught. That's because he got popped. Yeah, I mean, he got in trouble. It came out. So he had to address it. But he didn't go, hey, I want everyone to know I did this. It's tough to hear David Letterman going at it like that. Yeah, it's true. You know what I mean? It bothered me that they were being demonized, sort of, or they were being treated as if they were automatically lying, you know, and the burden of proof was on them. So I felt very bad for them. And so she talked. I wanted to come out and give my side before it was thrown out there and made out to be something. You know, filthy, which some people will look at this and say, well, that's exactly what it is. And I'm sorry for that. Wait a minute. Yeah, it makes no sense. How does it make sense? Filthy. I thought, what does she mean? Filthy. She was with a married man. It's a filthy act. But by her telling us it's better somehow? Like, yeah, I'm trying to see her point. Like, is she saying it's not filthy? She said some people will see it as filthy.
And she also said earlier that it was a very simple, simple, no, not, doesn't sound like there's a lot of strings attached. And some people would be, some people would think of the string being his wife. Right. You know, simple means physical. Right. As opposed. As opposed to like a relationship. Like they weren't going on like rendezvous together. They weren't in love. No. No. Got it. And then like Jay said. Herman Cain came out and said this. All right, we're just learning from Herman Cain himself that a third woman is about to come out and make some serious accusations against him. We all know the first two women accusing you of sexual harassment. What can you tell us about this third woman who is about to go public and accuse you of what? This particular individual, which...
That will be named in the story as we understand it. My attorney has talked with the reporter who's going to come out with this story. This individual is going to accuse me of an affair for an extended period of time. I don't want to specify because I don't know what's in the story. Secondly, it is someone that I know who is an acquaintance that I thought was a friend. That much I do know. There's some more from Herman. When we dealt with the previous allegations and. I went forward, went in front of the public, and said they're false and they're baseless. We were reacting to what we knew. At this point, I'm just simply saying these are going to come out, and until we know what they are, then my attorney doesn't know what to respond to. Those are all the details that I have. Now, given that, I know that the court of public opinion is going to formulate its own opinion. I can't control people who are going to make a decision based upon... Accusations. False. When specifics are made. False. Through my attorney, because we're trying to run a campaign. We're trying to connect with the people on the issues. False. Through my attorney, we will respond to every detail and every allegation. But I just wanted to give you a heads up and your audience a heads off. Here we go again. Wow, Herman. The jig is up. Have you seen my wiener? That is some heavy stuff. Who hasn't, apparently? Yeah. Ow!
You got to know. Gosh darn, you got to know if you're going into that thing. You better be squeaky clean. Well, I'll never run for office. Yeah, clearly. Nobody's squeaky clean, though. I mean, we all got skeletons in our closet. You know, you could run for office and some girl that you had sex with in college will be like, you know, he had sex with me and dumped me. It was a one-night stand. I mean, can you really have anything? Well, that's not, you know, that's no big deal. Adultery is. Adultery is a little bigger. Yeah, it's true. And sell-donging and all the things that seem to come with politics these days. But they all seem to have that sort of arrogance about them that they are above the law. Yeah. It's true. Darn, dude. It's true. My campaign would last all of 15 minutes. Well, and they always say, too, like, hey, if JFK had been alive during the time of Twitter and TMZ and all that stuff, it'd probably be a lot different. Let's do Mikey Morning Quarterback. Oh, yes. Let's do some Mikey Morning Quarterback. And I know that it is, you know, it's a little one-sided. Let's be honest. It's a lot one-sided, but it makes it fun. On any given Tuesday. On any given Tuesday. You know what I mean? Now, what Mikey Morning Quarterback is, is football trivia. And specifically NFL trivia. Call right now. You're going to pick J or L.O.B. Now, L.O.B. has...
In fact, lost once. And Jay has, in fact, won once. So, you know, weird. There's that. 570-1949. M1, hot for teacher from La Jolla. Are you there? Yes, sir. What's going on, Mikey? Not too much. Who would you like to represent you? I'll take LOC. LOC? Yeah. Lauren O'Commerce. Lauren O'Commerce. Did you get engaged? No. You didn't tell us? Are you sure? Is your boyfriend Matt Commerce? I'm positive. All right. I want Ashley from Carlsbad. You've got Jay. Hang on. Lucky. L.O.B., can you hand me that, please? We're playing for the Ben 10 Galactic Racing for the Nintendo. Jay! We based on the Ben 10 Cartoon Network series in stores now. We based. Video game for the...
Nintendo. Nintendo. Who started last time? I did. All right, Jay. Are you ready? As I'm ever going to be. What is it called when a quarterback drops back and throws to the end zone? Usually at the end of a game or the half. Say again? What is it called? Isolate. What is it called when a quarterback drops back? And throws to the end zone, usually at the end of the game or the half. Touchdown? No. No, it's called a Hail Mary. Oh, okay. They call that the Hail Mary. Or a Hail Mary, as you would call it. Yes, yes. That is, yeah. Hail Mary. You heard it. You heard the term. Now I know. Now I know. Yep. Ella B. Yes. What is the name of the position of the player who lines up in front of the running back and blocks for him? Offensive linesman. Isolate. Isolate. What is it? Technically, she would be right, but we were looking for fullback. I should have put in behind the quarterback. Didn't I say behind the quarterback? No. I didn't. No, but it's okay. I give that to her. That's technically she's right. Okay. Technically, she's right. Jay. Yes. Who won the Super Bowl last time? The Jets. Second time we've asked that question. I knew it.
And to the same person. The last time we asked that question, it was asked MJ. And he is, in fact, still wrong. No. L-O-B? It was the Packers, by the way. Dang it, I was going to say that, too. Packers. Who won the Super Bowl the year before? The year before last? Well, the year before this. Yeah, who won the Super Bowl in 2010? The Patriots? It was the Saints. Ah. It was the Saints. Jay. Yes, Mikey. Name any... Wait a minute. By any. Any. Any. Any. Any. Name any Dallas Cowboy quarterback ever, current, past... You're from Texas. Yes. Ever in the history of the Dallas Cowboys. Any quarterback that has ever played... Currently.
You know, a backup even. I mean, it could be any. Ryan Leaf. Yes, he's right. He's right. He's freaking right. Ryan Leaf? He sure was. Was on their roster? He sure was. No. He freaking got it. Are you serious? Yeah, I'm dead serious. I had no idea. Sure did. USOB. What a guess. What a guess. When would that be? I don't remember the year. Long ago. Wow. But he's right. Okay. All right. L-O-B? Yes. Unbelievable. Name any player, and by any, what we're saying, any time, any time, any point in history, name any player on the Green Bay Packers. And I mean ever. Aaron Rodgers. That is right, L-O-B. Bam. He's the current quarterback. She's so good. Jay. It's 2-1 Lauren. Yes, Mikey. Who is the NFL's All- Time leading rusher. In other words, this running back has, in fact, rushed for more yards than any other running back in the history of the game. T.I. That's a rapper. No, no, it was not. I.T.? No, not. That's a department here in the building. T.I. Oh, my God. T.I., I.T., T.I. Oh, my God.
T.O. Oh, my God. He's your receiver. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. T.I. The confidence with which he delivered that was genius. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. T.I. O.T.? No. It was Emmett Smith. Emmett Smith. It was actually Emmett Smith. T.I. T.I. is a rapper. O.T. T.I.T. It's I.T. Who did that? That was good. I think Lauren won. That was seven questions. So, Lauren, you're the winner. Done it again. You've done it again. Whatever. Oh, my God. T.I. T.I. That was great. M1 hop for teacher. Yes, sir. L.O.B. brought it home for you, buddy. Can we isolate IT or T.I.? 100%. T.I. We have to. T.I. H.B.D. Hang on. T.I. T.I. Yeah, all-time leading. T.I. You're the best. Confident. He was like John Madden answering that question. Absolutely. That's so good. Oh, my goodness. Hey, by the way, just want to re-mention, it is open season on all of us. Including you. That's right. Which means that any of us could be got at any time. Yep.
I wrote a letter once to a girl. Her name was Catherine. Yes. And I was obese. Look at how fat you are. Well done. And I thought I would, you know, kind of get to know her a little bit by making her a mixtape. And, you know, it was time in my life that I... Didn't have enough confidence to just approach a girl and do it on my own. I didn't stink. No, I didn't. More than likely. I didn't. More than likely. By the way, is there anybody listening that knows about that stupid... I got two things I want you to call. A.
And there were more than one people dressed in a Santa outfit holding up signs that say buy more junk. If anybody knows about it, we want to know. Also, is there anybody listening at this moment that was given something re-gifted? Is there anybody listening right now that has been given something re-gifted? Or has already been given something that was re-gifted? You know a re-gift gift when you open it. And you can tell also I'm re-gifting this too. I ain't hanging on to this. I don't think I've ever re-gifted anything. I don't think I have. I have not. I don't think I have. Every year. Every year. You always get something you don't want. He is the cheapest man. Somebody else wants it though. I ain't going to pay. Do they? Yes. It's probably something nice that Mikey gave me. Yeah, I would. Oh my God.
Are you going to re-gift something that Mikey gave me? Possibly. Hey, listen, if I don't like it, I ain't going to pay for something for some other fat guy. Well, if I can't sell it on eBay first, I'll give it what. That's right. Hey, listen, if I didn't do that, I wouldn't have the saddle I have right now for my horse. They don't know any better. I think there's some stuff that you just assume you've received it as a nicety and you're also going to re-gift it. No one's ever going to use it. Yeah, I think so. I can tell. Like the crystal candle holders that are shaped like leaves. You're like, you didn't have me in mind. Yeah, you got that from work. Yeah. That's your Christmas gift from work. These are great salmon planks for the grill. Yeah. You definitely didn't have me in mind. Well, I gave them to you, Mike, because I know how much you love salmon. Yep. So I thought... I actually...
I actually hate salmon. I could have sworn that you said you were interested in cooking a lot more salmon. My bad. Nope. These are napkin rings for Valentine's Day. On Christmas. It's Christmas Day. I know, but February's coming up. Yeah, right around the corner. 570-1949. We have M1... Oh, wait. No, we don't. I wanted to take it, but she bailed on us. 570-1949. Do you have something that you were given? My brother gave me one time a VHS video. This is genius. Of Sergeant Slaughter. The wrestler. The wrestler. And Sergeant Slaughter was narrating and hosting monster trucks, you know, running over cars. I had no interest in Sergeant Slaughter nor monster trucks. Was the shrink wrap on it?
No. Oh, my God. Yikes. Yep. M1, Jessie from San Diego. Are you there? Hi. Hi. So there was this horrible margarita set. And I know it's hard for a margarita set to be heinous, but there's like little puppies on the stem and everything. Wow. Oh, yeah. That's a re-gift. I'd love it. Yeah. It is. So there's about seven of us that hang out together, and it got re-gifted among us. But it's actually turned out to be cool because now whenever we're at the re-gifted person's house, the margarita sack gets busted out and it turns into margarita night. That's trouble. A couple of things to keep in mind since we're talking about gifts. Friday is L.O.B.'s birthday. Another deal that we have to think about. We've got to do our white. What are we calling it? White Elephant. Are we doing that? Oh, yeah, of course. White Elephant? Yeah. Tell me how it works again. I forget every year. Every year I forget how that works. It's pretty easy. We draw a... You don't know either. We draw each other's names. Names, yes. Last year we just did Secret Santa, I thought. No? No, we did White Elephant. It was all gifts that you had been advertised on TV. Yeah, as seen on TV. What is White Elephant?
It's a game that you play, and it's really fun. Actually, the gifts are numbered. You don't draw names. The gifts are numbered, and we draw numbers. So if you draw number one, you pick first. You unwrap your gift. You go, okay, cool. Number two then says, all right, I'm second, but I really want what Mike's got. I'm going to take it. Then you get to open another one. And you only get to steal once, right? Yeah, you can steal once. You can only steal one time. White elephant's the best. I think you can't. steal back something that's already been stolen from you. Yes. Yeah. Now it's all coming back to me. It's fun. It is so much fun. Yeah. 570-1949. We just need to come up with a theme for this year, what it's going to be. Something. Yep. So we got people on the line that want to talk about things that they've received that have been re-gifted. That's next. I love this guy. Since the Duke sex scandal. I used to drink a lot. And Jay. How about you let me raise my own kid? On FM 94.9. Are you Wendy Peffercorn? I am. Oh, hello. Ella B has been asked more than once if she is Wendy Peffercorn. Feels real good. During the break, Woods was all over me because I didn't do something. Yeah, you know, just like to cut your teammates real good with a knife and you forgot to do something. Very important. Very self-deprecating that you forgot to do. Cut yourself. Yeah, it's time to cut yourself. Well... Just glaze over stuff or just forget it. I thought it was enough. Was it? Was it? Just playing a little music and telling a story about how you were obese once. And...
No, I said more. And your love was unrequited? I mean, yeah. Oh, easy, unrequited. Wow, kid's very dramatic. Waffle out thou. Isolate. Thank you, Jesus. Waffle out thou. Waffle out thou. Waffle out thou. I don't even know what to write down. Well said. Thank you. Oh, man. I was 23. I was obese. I saw a girl at a record store. I made her a tape. Yes. And? And I put music on. I put King of Wishful Thinking. He said yesterday, how ironic. It was. How ironic. Yes, very good choice. It was an in at the time. Eric spoke to you. Yes, very much. Wasn't that on the Pretty Woman soundtrack, I believe? You would know. I would know. Yeah. So Jay and Woods made a bit about it. Yeah.
Through hours of night and hundreds of miles, sleeps one of the warmest, softest smiles. Those smiles are empty and full of regret for leaving a face I will never forget. Thank God for the memories that I never made. That pain is expensive. Believe me, I've paid. It's better to picture your face to your voice. From miles away, I don't have a choice. It's melodramatic and full of despair. But that's what I feel, so I don't really care. I'm Mikey. Does it suck? I think it does. Oh, wow. Oh, my God. Is that a little like what it sounded like, Mikey? It's identical. Yes, it sounded just like that. Wow. Beautiful. Yes. In my mind, it sounded a little different. I didn't hear it. Was it funny when you... No, because that was funny. It was much slower. It was much slower. A couple takes right there. That's a couple takes. That was the poem I read, or I wrote. Yes, you wrote that. To the young woman and, you know, sent it to her and she thought I was nice, you know? I guess Jay was in a big hurry. I guess so. Leave it to beaver. Two hours of night and hundreds of miles. He's one of the warmest, softest smiles.
Those miles are empty and full of regret for leaving a face I will never forget. Thank God for the memories that I never made. That pain is expensive. It's like an auctioneer. It's better to picture your face to your voice. From miles away, I don't have a choice. It's melodramatic and full of despair. But that's what I feel, so I don't really care. I'm Mikey. Wow. Does it suck? I think it does. Oh, my God. He's a treasure trove. That hurts. He's the gift that keeps on giving. He's like artifacts from the Titanic. Yes, he is. That's amazing. They come up, you polish them off, and it's just solid gold underneath it. M1 Naughty Nurse is on the line from Oceanside. Hi. How are you? I'm pretty good. How are you guys? Are you really a nurse? Are you naughty? Yes, I am a nurse. You really are a nurse? Yes. Are you naughty? Wow. That's a yes. That's a yes. No, it's certainly a yes. It's 100% yes. It was an undeniable yes. So, what did you get that was re-gifted? I'm pretty sure one of my wedding gifts was re-gifted. Why? Well, it was nowhere on our registry, and it was nothing that had to do with us.
And what was it? It was a gumball machine. Oh, wow. Wow. Did you invite a J to your wedding? Oh, wow. We opened it up and we were like, okay, it would have been better if it at least came with some gumballs. No way. It said Frank and Marcy on it. It didn't come with the gumballs at all? No, it didn't come with anything. It was just an empty gumball machine. Oh, my gosh. I had one of those growing up as a kid. They were beating. Oh, yeah. They were the worst. That is shocking. It was not fun. I didn't know what to put on the thank you note. Yeah. Just thank you for the gumballs. The empty gumball machine. Yeah. Thank you for the empty gumball machine. Let's see. M1 Omega from Escondido. Hey, what's up, Mikey Show? Not too much. I actually...
Now, I had an ex-girlfriend, and her family had this tradition. I guess when the uncles were younger, they had gotten a really crummy, like, neon green wallet, and nobody wanted it, so they just ended up re-gifting it. He called it the wallet after that. Yes, the traditions are great. My dad does that with one of my uncles. He started out with an ugly wallet that was like... clearly re-gifted. Yeah. And now every year they add something to the wallet. Nice. So there's like a stack in there of like little bits that they did. That's cool. That's fantastic. That's really cool. And that's exactly what they did. And I mean, I was going out with her for about two years. And so they felt, you know, cordial enough to want to give it to me. And unfortunately, about a month later, we broke up. So it was real awkward around Christmas time when they were asking me if I still had the wallet and what exactly happened to it. Oh, wow. Of course, I did have it because I didn't want to be a jerk, but the lines of communication were a little blurry at that point. That is great. Outstanding. Hey, thank you. Reliving good memories. Yeah, real good. Hey, thanks, Omega. I, Mike, would like to pull the curtain back. Oh. Uh-oh.
Is it on me or Woods? It is on our friend, Jason. Oh, then I'm happy. What is it? What is it? What is it? I received a text from one of our very loyal listeners, very loyal M1, M1 Lizzie, that said her and her boyfriend, one winder, received sunglasses, angel and anarchy sunglasses, which, as you know, Mike, are prizes that we give away here on the station. But how do we get those? And she said that the gift bag said two. Jay. He left the tag on the bag. Oh, my head, my head, my head, my head. Or the gift that keeps on giving, my friend. That is a true statement. And she said that her birthday was in June and he gave her the gift in December. Oh, my God. He is so phenomenal. He is so phenomenal. Girl legend. He forgot to take the tag off. I never forgot. Maybe I was just too lazy. Yeah, I was too lazy. Oh, man. Gosh darn it. That is good. Hey, Kim. It's Jay. Jasper's birthday is coming up, and I stole the key to the prize closet. So do you think? Let's see. Hold on. Let's see what we got here. Is he like Everlast?
I got this new one. It's called Group Love. And then I got another one called The Black Box Revelation. It's an EP. It's called Shiver of Joy. Which one would he like? I'm sure he'll love either one of them. Everlast. Gosh, darn. M1, Mike from San Diego. Hey, what's going on? Good morning, Mike. Good morning. So good. Hey, a couple of years ago, my brother played a pretty good prank on me. I had just moved out. You know, I'm a bachelor, first time ever moving out of mom and dad's house. I have no furniture. And go back home to mom and dad's for Christmas. And my brother gives me, I look at this box, and it's a TV box, and I'm hyped. I am excited about it. For sure. Yeah, I pick it up. You know, it's heavy and everything. I'm like, oh, this is cool, you know. Right? Yeah. I opened it. There's cinder blocks in there, phone books in there. Happened to me. S-O-B. Yeah, CB did it to me. He had wrapped up an old sweater I lent to him, let him borrow four years ago. Oh, my gosh. That is perfect. Merry Christmas. Oh, yeah. I got to admit, I'd never heard of it before. It made me laugh until I almost peed. I mean, I'd never heard of it before. I remember a Christmas that I wanted the Van Halen.
It was a Van Halen concert on VHS, and it was called Live Without a Net. Yep. Okay? Wanted that thing, and all I could do was tell everybody in my life at 16 years old that that's what I wanted. And I went to my brother's place. That's where we were having Christmas. And underneath the Christmas tree, I saw a present that was wrapped, and it was the shape of a videocassette. And it said to Mike, it said to Mike from Santa, And I was so stoked. I was so happy because I knew that that very next day I would, in fact, be watching Live Without a Net at my brother's house. And that I would ask, hey, is it okay if I put this on? I know everybody's just kind of milling about. Can I put this on in the living room and, you know, the whole thing?
And it was Ghostbusters. The movie Ghostbusters. Which is different. It's not Live Without a Net. It's Ghostbusters. I'll tell you guys what happened to my dad in college. And this may be where he gets some of his little quirks. He's a quirky guy. He wanted a stereo more than anything. And that was probably $74. So home stereos that you could pick up. They weren't the big console deal. Right. He wanted one so bad. Yeah. So he gets home for Christmas, and he's like, all right, here we go. He comes back from college, opens his first present, set of headphones, big-ass headphones like this. Oh, yeah. And he's like, oh. You know what's coming. You know what's coming. So they open all their presents. No stereo. So he's waiting. Because, you know, parents do the bit. Yeah. They do the bit with, like, hey, go take the trash out, and there's a stereo. Right. Nothing.
So at the end of the deal, he's kind of like, I really kind of thought I was going to get a stereo. And his dad said to him, he goes, I got you headphones so you can plug in to use somebody else's stereo. And I got you the real long cord so it'll stretch across the hallway if you need to. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. My dad was like, oh, my gosh. That explains an awful lot. My dad gave me a camera one year that was. in this drawer four years before them. But listen, the guy comes through on Christmas. He also bought me a Stratocaster, so I can't really complain. One year I was in my parents' basement. They have like a crawl space. And I was seven years old, just fishing around, and I found this poster. It was a football poster. My brother was really into football, so I was like, I'm going to give this to him. We have a picture of me giving it to him and him unrolling it, and he's got this huge, like, smile on his face. Right. I didn't know until hindsight. It was already his poster that he rolled up and put into the crawl space because he didn't want it. It's like a Steve Largent poster. He didn't call you on it? No, he goes, wow. I can, like, remember it. He opened it up and unfurled it and went, wow. And he got it from, like, a magazine that was folded up.
That's so brilliant. I was like, yep. Yeah, I scored. You never know where I got that one. One year, Finnegan took the batteries, the used batteries, and he wrapped them and gave them to his sisters. That's fantastic. Like father, like freaking son. Yeah. Used batteries. I used to do that. Batteries, coins. My brother, Sam, that gave me the Sergeant Slaughter. VHS, when I was seven, I gave him a gold chain that I found in the app. That's right. He appraised it, and it was solid gold. Yeah. Wow. And I thought, yeah, you know, hey, feast on that. Yeah, feast on that. I used to give my brothers and sisters just stuff around the house when I was little and wrap it up and all this stuff. So one year, my brother and sister, who are both older than me, got together, and they... I got several boxes in each other, and I kept opening it up, opening it up, opening it up. Inside, there was a penny. Oh. And I started bawling. Oh, boy. They were like, L.O.B., you have gotten the shout. I'm the middle child. That's what happened. And she's been screwed over. Yeah. They're, like, high-fiving each other, and my parents were like, you go apologize. Oh, my God, Penny. I was, like, six. That sucks. I kept being like, oh, boy.
It's going to be there. Something's in there. Box after box after box. M1 Lily from San Diego. Hi, how are you guys doing this morning? Good. Good. When my husband and his sister were like 15, 16 years old, he wanted a guitar and she wanted an expensive pair of shoes. Well, on Christmas when they opened these boxes, well, her box was a pair of shoes, but it was a picture of the pair of shoes she wanted. And then my husband got a blow-up guitar instead of a real one. Oh. Oh, man. Blow-up guitar. That's like a slap in the face. Oh, yeah. You should call CPS on your face, dude. It was a Chuck E. Cheese, like, blow-up guitar. But then he came to the garage and he had gotten a real one. Just don't give up. Oh, that's good. What about the shoes? Yeah, well, I think she got the shoes, too, but they didn't have them in her side. She got them later. Later. The picture bit doesn't bother me as long as I know what's coming. They were so upset. Like, she was crying. Oh, yeah. My husband was like, are you serious? A blow-up guitar? What? I would have lost my mind. I would have lost my mind. We're all grown-up little kids. Yeah. I was in my 20s when I was hurt by this. I was in my 20s. All I wanted in life was an authentic jersey. An authentic jersey. You know the difference, right? Yeah. Authentic is stitched on. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's what the players wear.
Game day style. It's game day style and only a very select few people can get them because you got to have about three bills. They're called players. Yeah. Yeah. You got to have about three bills. And when you see people wearing the stitched on ones, you go, that's pretty sharp. Yeah. And then you see the ones that you get at like Target. Yeah. It's different. It's just different. It looks different. Well, and it feels like rubber. Right. You know, instead of like cloth, like cotton, it's like rubber. You know, it's like a rubber material. Open that sucker up. There's a rubber shirt. Ricky Waters. Favorite player. Rubber. Not authentic. Now, all I had ever... See, the whole point of my deal was the authentic. I talked about the stitched on and what it meant and everything. And it was so... It meant so much. I felt like I was five. Like I'd been... Who gave it to you?
A girl that I was dating at the time, and she didn't get the proper reaction. I was like, oh, that's awesome. But I didn't, like, no gusto in it. Did you tell her? You never told her. No, he told her. It's Mikey. He told her it wasn't the real deal. He freaking told her two minutes after he opened, I guarantee you. She took the box with the thing in it, and she threw it down the stairwell, and I had to go down the stairs. I'd say that's the proper reaction. Yeah. On her part. $300, though. Just get me something else. Something else. Don't get me anything. It's extra, extra, extra large. It probably costs like four bills. I do have an extra, extra large Ricky Waters jersey if you want it, Mike. It's an Eagles jersey. I do. You don't wear an Eagles jersey, do you? Dude, it's Ricky Waters. He's my favorite player of all time. Ever. Might be the rubber, though. I already have one. He doesn't want the rubber. A lot of rubber in my mouth.
I'll check. I'm 12 now. Yeah. I'll check. I want to eat the chicken parm. Yeah. Like L.O.B. did. Yep. Mm-hmm. I felt like a little kid. Oh, dude. I fully... I know what it sounds like. You ungrateful jerk. No, I know. It's... Just don't get me... Yeah, go the other way. Just get me something different. God, my parents started to learn after a while. Like, we would just email them what we wanted and send links and pictures. Oh, boring. No. One thing I will never. So good. Yeah. Like, and then they would just give us, there's a mall back home. They would give us gold coins that were worth like 100 bucks each. Yeah. And go, you can get anything in the mall you want. It's not a gift card to a certain store. Yeah. It's anything in that mall. So we were like, yes. We're the gift card family now. That's what we do. It's a good idea. And I'll tell you this. The one thing I learned from my kids is that if they ask for a blah, blah, blah, you know, action figure, I'm not going to get them the other action figure. No. I'm going to get them that action figure. No, but at a certain age, you shouldn't really be asking for your gifts. No. What about when somebody asks you? Or what about when you've mentioned something? You should give a list of things that you want. Yeah, but if they're going to, it's the deal is if you're going to get it.
You want what you want. And you know. But you should get it for yourself if that's what you want. Well, you're in sixth grade. You can't. Yeah. Or you're 23. You can't get a Ricky Waters. When I was in sixth grade, the Tony Hawk skateboard was it. Yeah. And the Vision Psycho stick. And that's all I wanted. Yeah. I got a Nash. And I wanted to cry. Yeah. And I purposely, that day riding that Nash skateboard, tried to break it. Yeah. Tried to. Just so I could go in and be like, serious piece of crap. Sixth grade. Things have turned. I told you. I can relate to that. Was your that age? You were 23. How dare you? You were 23. But I bet you got her what she wanted. You feel the same way. I bet you got her what she wanted. You feel the same way. No, if I wanted something that badly, I'd buy it for myself. I wouldn't just go tell somebody, hey, here's what you get me. I didn't walk up to her and go, hey, here's what you get me. This is what I need, lady. Yeah. But you made a point to say, I want the authentic jersey. Here's the deal. I didn't even get, it was something that I had always talked about. Right. It'd be like today saying the Audi R8. Right. That's like my dream. Of course. I'll never have it. Yeah, you've talked about it a bunch. And if I bought, what if I bought you the Audi A5? You're like, oh, great. No, that's different because it's a car. Right. It's different because it's a car. Yeah. If you wanted some sort of like commemorative Bible or something and we got like a reprint of one that you already had.
Technically, it'd be a Bible, but you'd be like, well... It's not the bridge to golden sealed. What is this sport called? Where the two people ride at each other on horses. Jousting. LLB has a way. When I have no shield. Because I don't think I need one. What? I'm just walking through the park here. No, you're just riding your horse. Yeah, I'm just riding my... I'm for a stroll. I'm not a jouster. What do I need a shield around here? I was trying to make a comparison to the things you like today. Mike, it would be like, you know, say for instance, you wanted a fork, a special fork. Yeah. And instead, she got you a spoon. I got you one with two tines on it instead of the six-tined fork that you wanted. I see what you're saying. Do. I do, I do. Mike, you know those crosses you collect? No. What if I made you one? What if I just made you one out of twins? Yeah.
It pierces my soul. Like if you wanted a piece of the cross. It's so real. From Italy or something. And we were like, well, here's a piece of driftwood from Greece. From Akron. It's the same thing. We found it in the Mississippi River. It's the same thing. It's still a cross. You're fine. It came from A cross. Oh, you monstrous monster. M1 Diet Cokehead, hi. Hi, doll. How are you? I'm Saboosh. And you're soft. So what are you going to do? My sister-in-law, not my favie, sells party lights. Does she live here? Yeah. Oh, wow. Cool enough to listen to the Mikey show. Okay. She's more of a Jeff and Jerry kind of girl. Not my favie. She sells party light and has a party light cupboard. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Party light. What's that? Candles, Mike. Candles. You've met me, Mike. Candles. Like a candle chick. Got it. Got it. Thank you. Got it. So every year, I get some kind of Elvis ornament, which I'm cool with, and freaking party light. Oh, God. And I have to open it all the way. I see that little blue box. I know it's not Tiffany. It's party light. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So this year, I'm taking all of my party light. I'm rewrapping it, except for last year's, which I'm just going to take the tag off of.
and I'm going to gift it right back to her. That's fair. Oh, my God, you balls of steel. Listen, we're talking about Diet Cokehead here. Oh, my God, she's so ballsy. This girl is from the same area of the country that L.O.B. is. That's right. There's a reason these broads have balls of steel. There is a reason. It takes brass balls. And I was going to say to her, I loved mine so much, I wanted you to have the same experience. Wow. Now, I've been planning this for a couple of years. That is great. My sister and I have talked about this, but because there has been family tension, shocker, I didn't want to upset my mom, but my mom is a strong woman and all bets are off. It's going to be a Jerry Springer Christmas. I'm so nervous. Oh, that makes me nervous. It makes me nervous just hearing it. Let's just put it this way. She drinks milk with ice cubes. She's a sex pervert. She's a sex pervert. So what you're saying is she's a sex pervert. And she's the biggest defender of taking a bottle of water, drinking three sips, and leaving it in one room. My dad would hate her. Grab everybody. Hey, we're letting the cat out of the bag with this chick. Hey, thank you, M1 Diet Cokehead.
All of you individually. You're the best. She's awesome. I love you! I love you! That's great. Oh, noises! Do you know who Sherry Shepard is? I do not. You shouldn't. You shouldn't know who she is, Woods. But she likes to soften butter by putting it under her boobs. All the way in on her. All the way in on her. This is the Mikey Show. Hey, I like to skateboard. On FM 94.9. If you're listening, call in. Because this text is not enough. I want to talk to you. M1 Butter says, I hear a bunch of my friends that are chicks talk about dating guys they meet at bars online, etc. They always say to each other, at least you'll get a free meal out of it. Are girls really doing this or are they kidding? Okay, so M1 Butter, call in. I want to know, like, these chicks that you hear saying that. I've never heard a chick. Huh.
Oh, no. I've heard it plenty of times. You've never said it. I know that. I've said it. No! I have. Oh! Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. I'm afraid of what Jay might say. Monster. Prostitute. Hooker. Well, I guess that means you can be arrested now. You're only a hooker if you give it up. By Jay's logic. You're a tease, then. Yes. No, not if you're going to see if this guy's a prospect. Well, at least I'm getting a free meal. We're a bunch of saps. Oh, dude. We are so stupid. In my day, thousands and thousands of them. Why are we so dumb, man? Because we want sex. We want to make sex to them. That's why. And they know it. You guys refuse to let us pay, so go ahead. Sometimes we don't, you know? No, we do. Especially on a first date. Guy's always going to pay. When we're boyfriend-girlfriend. Wait a minute. You can chip in. Wait a minute, though, L-O-B.
I think that there's some chicks that are like, he's got money, so I know I'm going to get a nice meal. Killer meal. No, sometimes you don't know who it is. Someone could set you up. It's not about that, really. It's about like, I don't know if I want to go on a blind date with somebody and you're like, at the very least. Well, at least you get a free meal. Yeah. Although I did go on a date and went Dutch with the guy. That doesn't always work out. Did you agree upon that before going? I always politely suggest it. Always. And he let you. Yeah. He's a sexual deviant. Douchebag. He's a prostitute. Yeah. And he is not a friend and not a lover. Definitely not. He also didn't walk me to my car in the dark. I walked him to his. He's a DB. He's a DB. Was he safe? Did you make sure he was safe? He made sure he was safe. Yeah. No, he wanted me to see his car. Oh. Wow. This is one date L.O.B. and I went on after that. All right. Just leave me in the dust, literally. See you later. I'll be here chilling. At least you'll get a free meal out of it. Well, that implies and that means that some girls, it's not a blind date. They know that a guy's got money.
And they go, I'm going to get a really good meal. And I'm not, and I know this already, I'm not going to kiss him. I'll never go out with him. I'm not going to date this guy. I'm not going to date him. Definitely not sleeping with him. Definitely not sleeping. I'm not doing anything with him, but I will take the free meal. I want the filet and the crab cakes real good. See, I've never been that desperate, but right now I was like. Very stressful economy, so I could see a lot of girls doing that. Holy gosh. I've only done it to see, well, even if it doesn't work out, at least, you know. Well. At least. Oh. God, I mean. Because dating sucks. Going on a date. Why did you agree to it? Why did you agree to it? Because sometimes you get set up. Or sometimes you meet someone for three minutes. You meet someone for three minutes and you're like, I don't really know if I have a lot in common with him. And then you have your friends that are like, take a chance. He could be the one. And then you have your other friend that's like, at least you'll get a free meal out of it. Yeah, the fat friend, mother hen. At least you get to feast. No. The mother hen. No, plenty of my friends. When I was like back out there, it sucked.
And people were always, you got all this like advice from people. Oh, everybody knows what's best for you. Go do this. Go do that. Were you getting asked out? Were guys coming up and going, would you like to go? How do you do it now? If we were in the dating pool. It usually happens in the bar. It happens in the bar. And then you're like. Who in the history of like bars has ever made it? And don't call because you have. You're the exception. You're awesome. You're the exception. We got married. Get it. We get it. So you're always like, well, I'm spinning my wheels. You got your friend that's the dreamer and your friend that's the opportunist. Yes. Yes, exactly. Mikey show. Hello. Hi, Mike. My name is Barbara. I was just calling in because I sort of took Umbridge with what I heard you say right now. Uh-oh. That, you know, you can't meet someone at a bar. I just, I think that that's so irresponsible. Well, didn't we just ask you not to call? Yeah, we just said, we specifically said don't call. Has it ever happened? I heard you. Do people ever take Umbridge? I heard what you said. I heard what you said. And I just want you to know.
That if it weren't for Episodi, I don't know what you're laughing about. If it weren't for Episodi and that fateful bottle of Chardonnay, I would have never met my dear husband, Edgar. Oh, look at you. Now, I am 41 years of age. Sound about 60. Well, I'm not. All right, I fibbed. I'm 58. You were on a real cougar hunt, weren't you? Yeah. I was not on a cougar hunt. Edgar happened to be 92 when I met him. Oh, wow. So Edgar was on a cougar hunt then. Yeah. No. We struck up a conversation about architecture, which is something that's a hobby of both of them. And he told me that he lived in Fairbanks Ranch, which I could care less. Gold digger. I don't care. I'm not interested in it. I said to him, I don't. care where you live. Rancho Santa Fe doesn't mean anything to me. Seems like it means a lot. You said which part? I heard that. You did. You said which part? I heard it. Maybe you're hearing things. I didn't say anything like that. And it didn't mean anything to me. Everything to you. No, I'm just playing. It didn't mean anything. And so I said...
Edgar, who wheeled you here? And he told me. Deathbed. And I met with the person, and I said, hey, listen, that handsome fellow over there just bought me a bottle of wine, my girlfriends and I, and he is hot. How old is he again? Well, at the time, he was 92. Now? Well, Edgar's passed on. Explains your Fairbanks Ranch address. Oh, I haven't lived there. I mean, well, things worked out. Same house. His old house. You got everything. Well, yes, but that's not really... Well, you were his wife, so... Yeah. Well, yes, I mean, I was entitled to it. Entitled to it? That's how it goes when you're married. Well, even though his son Paul contested it, I was the executive. You work hard for the money. Yes, I mean...
It's kind of hard to contest it when, you know, I'm your legal wife in a prenuptial agreement. Even though he told his lawyer that his father wasn't in his right mind and shouldn't have been marrying a girl that was 26 years of senior. I don't know that anyone would call you a girl. No. You're kind of a prostitute, though. Kind of. I am not kind of a prostitute. Did you have sex with him? I doubt it. Did I what? Have sex with him? To him? I... I have an appointment and I have to get running. Okay. And plus the phone is breaking up. Yeah, is it? You're making that noise in your mouth. You're making that noise in your mouth and nose. I can't hear you. What did that say? You are a smelly pirate hooker. M1, Travis is on the line from Escondido. Hi, Travis. Hey, how's it going? Good. Yeah, so I had an ex-girlfriend do that to me. I tried to date her again after three years of not dating. And I ended up with her and I going out to a hotel, like out in Warner Springs for a weekend for Valentine's Day, actually. And? And she totally led me on. She was like, no, I just wanted to go out for the free meal. Oh, she told you? She actually said it to you? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Like after, she was like, no, we're not having sex.
What? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was just a reflex. That was a reflex that Jay has whenever someone says no to sex. Why would she say no? I don't know. So you asked her, hey, do you want to come with me out to Palm Springs? She says yes. Oh, yeah, like I put together a whole little shoebox with a gift inside and like a little card that has, you know, we're going out to Warner Springs for Valentine's Day. Will you be my date? Hey, wait a minute. Okay, can I ask a girl question? Mm-hmm. And if you have little ears in the car, turn them. Because this is an adult question. It's an adult show. Hang on the line. Yeah. L-O-B. Yes. If a girl, because I asked this question one time. Do girls plan their wedding around their period? And you said no. And I said, well, why wouldn't they? Well, I'm also not in that boat yet, so. Oh, gosh. Oh, wow. She's pointing out. Are you pulling the period card? Yeah, usually people plan the wedding out months in advance. But you're pulling a period card on this guy. No, no, no. I'm saying, what if she wasn't using him, but in fact was maybe on her period? Well, there's other stuff you can do, pal. I know, no, no. I know. But what if she was too embarrassed to say to him, I'm on my period? But she came out and said, I just wanted a free trip and dinner. Right.
I know, because maybe that was easier to say than to say, I'm on my period. No way. If she said that, I would leave her there. If she said she was on her period? No, no, no. Oh, yeah. I was like, wow. No, no. I don't care. No. Doesn't matter. Most uncomfortable four-hour car ride home. Oh, yeah. Just leave her there. I bet. Yeah, I would have left her. Did you talk? Yeah, in between the, I want to get Starbucks and waiting in line for half an hour for her. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait, wait. It was really like the worst mistake ever. But wait, Travis. That's terrible. Travis. Yeah. How is it possible that you couldn't see any of these character traits before going there? Like, this chick sounds whacked. Yeah. Yeah, no, I totally missed it. When I went to the door to, like, pick her up, I gave her, like. flower or something and tried to kiss her on the cheek and she totally dodged it. I should have known that and just turned around and gone, oh boy. You gotta make sex before you go. What? So anyways, that was like a $500 horrible weekend. Yeah, it's down the drain. You should have told her. You said, hey, the trip's free. She was seriously in there. She was like, look, no, I was just, I wanted to see what you were like again and no, but I just wanted to go out and have food with you. Had you made sex to her before this trip? Oh, yeah.
before that. Wow. Maybe I'm right. No, you're not right. You and your period. You're not right. You just told her the trip was free. Maybe he can't hear me. Hey, can you hear Jay? Hey, can you hear me? Oh, yeah. The trip's free, but the ride home costs $200. No joke. That trip home almost cost her a new pair of shoes. Oh, yeah. See, that makes it real clear. I don't understand. What a beating. Like he almost made her walk, maybe? Yes. Hey, Travis. Travis, thank you. No worries. That's weird. Sorry, buddy. She wasn't on her period. No. Could have been. She would have said so. Yeah, she would have. What if she's not the type that does too much? If they've done it for you many times, she'd be able to say it. She wasn't on her period. She was just using them. She was just using them. Crap out of them. That's why she gets to walk. And then she gives a bit of, I just want to see, see how.
it would be with you and I again. I've done those weekends though where I've gone with like an ex and you think maybe this is going to be the one that rekindles. Yeah, but you make sex to them, don't you? Not always. What? Happened with me and I was pretty upset about it. Yeah. Yeah. And I think most men are. I think most men are, you know, they think that you got used. Yeah. No. It's supposed to be a big weekend. It's just not there anymore. Well, then why'd you go? Yeah, let's figure that out beforehand. Yeah, in Hawaii. Yeah, in Hawaii. Happy birthday to you. Yes, exactly. Never happened in Hawaii. Well, okay, so wherever. Never took any big trips like that. But sometimes you go thinking you're going to rekindle. Doesn't happen. You don't have to. It's not a prerequisite that if he takes you somewhere, you have to sleep with him. It is written in stone. That's why you go get a hotel room. Gosh darn, men and women are different. That is why you get a hotel, because you can do freaky stuff in a hotel. You guys sound like rapists. Listen, all right, I'll tell you. Listen, maybe we do. All of you. Maybe we do. I'm going to tell you the truth, though. You guys sound like hookers. Yeah. Yeah, you sound like hookers. Or holdout hookers. Yeah, you sound like... Holdout teasing hookers. Yeah, teases. You guys sound like teasing hookers. If you go there with the intent of that's all you want... Well, what else are we going to do?
Hang out? In a hotel room? You're not just going to a CD hotel. I would think that we would go in the ocean. Great. We would go do things. What do we do at night time? Maybe we're going to make sex if I'm still attracted to you, but if I'm not attracted to you, I'm not giving it everything out. If you're not attracted to me, why did you take a $350 plane ticket out of my hand? First of all, this is a very hypothetical that I have never done. Second of all, because I thought I was attractive. We were once in a relationship. And now, in fact, you disgust me. And I don't want to make sense. Wait, wait, wait. Let's say that in this hypothetical situation, I haven't called you on it. I haven't called you on it. I'm just asking that hypothetical girl some questions. And you're answering them. And I'm learning a lot about women here. But I hope that every woman listening is learning something about guys here. With that being said... But you're all rapists. Well, wait a minute. Now, I'm speaking about old Mike. This is the way old Mike was. And this is the way I think most guys are. If you had a sexual relationship with a girl in the past, and you asked that girl to fly out to Vegas, and you'll fly her, and you're staying at the Hard Rock, and hey...
What do you think about, hey, you seeing anybody? Uh-uh. You busy? Uh-uh. You come out to the hard rock? I can't afford that. I got it. On me. It's on me. Now, there are girls listening right now that are going, that doesn't mean anything. Oh, God. All I know is you are somebody that I am friends with. We're friends now. We had a relationship. We had a relationship, but we're clearly friends, so. You didn't call me and say, do you want to come out here and have sex? Because if you would have, I would have been like, no. You said, can I fly ya? It's a tease. Yeah, tease. Pays or pigs.
Are we? That's why we're rooming together. Yeah. We're rooming together. We're going to sleep in the same bed. Yeah. You know why we called you and asked you out to the hard rock? Because we want to have a slumber party. I want to snuggle with you. Yeah, we want to snuggle. I've been in situations where. We want to snuggle, buddy. Then get your own room. I've been in relationships with people. Then they go this way. I go that way. And then we're like, oh, let's go hang. What is that supposed to mean, Jay? I think you know. I don't. Go ahead. I don't know what it means. I got to hear this. I don't know what it means. But then we're like, oh, well, let's go to Vegas this weekend. I haven't seen you in three months. Wait a minute. Hang on. Who says? You? Who brings it up? Usually them. Oh, this girl over here. Yeah. And by this girl, I mean every girl listening. Yep. It ain't just LLB. It's all you ladies. Yeah. Shout it out, guys. Girls, just be ready to give it up. Don't go on vacation with me. Don't share a hotel bed with me. That's not the only thing you do on vacation. Don't share my bed. Hey, and we don't want, like, we're not going to come out and say it. What am I, Howard Hughes? I'm made of money? Yeah. I'm flying you out here because I want something too. We've already done it. It's a win-win. Okay, how about at the very least this, ladies? You disgust me. Well, I got to talk to ladies through LOB. But how about this, ladies? LOB.
have fun. Yeah. We'll like... We'll do stuff. We'll do stuff. We'll go to a nice dinner. Nice dinner. Take you to Cirque du Soleil. Yeah. Blue Man Group. And then I get there and I realize, oh gosh, I'm not attracted to you whatsoever. What? Turn around and go home. Yeah. Turn around and go home. Yeah. Turn around and go home. I couldn't afford it in the first place. I'll get you home. You flew me out there. Okay. No, you got a ticket. You can just trade your ticket in. I would love to do that. You should. I'll send you home that day. You guys realize this is a hypothetical. Yes, of course. But we got to talk about it. We got to talk about it. 570-1949. The topic is, let's say you dated somebody. And then you break up. And then the guy invites said ex on a trip. For a guy, it's implied. If you say yes, we're going to make sex to one another. Right. Like we used to. Yeah, like we used to. And in our minds, you know it too. Yeah, in our minds, you wouldn't go. You wouldn't go unless you were willing to do that. Because clearly, if it's an away trip, we're going to be sleeping together. Yeah, and we think that in your mind too.
In my case, it's happened to me before, and I'm assuming, hey, you're coming, you want it too. And you're smart enough to know that that's your boy, and so you would say no. This is a person you've been in a relationship with before. Yes, and if sex was not an option, you wouldn't say yeah. But you guys don't realize that girls... Females are more emotionally attached to sex. Not all of them. Well, more. Oh, I know. I'm making generalizations. Yeah, they are. You guys are just physical. So if we no longer enjoy your company once we hang out with you, it's like, hmm. Well, then why are you coming? Because I thought maybe we would rekindle something. You should bail. You should bail that. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Then you're stuck. You're on a trip with them. You can change your ticket. You went because you thought we would rekindle something. Yes.
Okay, now that's fair. And that's fair. Like if you come out there and you want to rekindle something, that's fair. I think you want me to come because maybe you want me back or maybe we're going to start dating again. I don't assume that you just want to go. Wow. And I bet chicks think that. My mind is blown right now. Maybe that's the case. Nicole is laughing right now so much because she's like, you guys men are dumb. And we kind of are, I think. We are. I think we are kind of dumb. It's one word. Well, at the same time, I say about you ladies, I think you ladies play dumb a lot. I think you ladies go like this. I know what the score is, but I can always fall back on, what? I just thought I was coming out here for a little old trip. We just think with our brains. Listen, I'm a polite little southern girl. I didn't think you think I was going to make sex to this. Why are you doing my wife Jamie right now? Sounds just like her.
If you're in the same bed on a trip, if you want to do it, you should get sleep in two separate beds in. Get a separate bed. I'm not sure how I feel about you. No, a separate room, bro. Separate room. Yeah. Or say to me before you come out there, you would say something like this. You would go. Are we going to have separate rooms? And as soon as you say that, every guy in the world goes like, you know what? Trips off the table. Trips off the table. Trips off the table. Trips off the table. Trips off the table. Why would you do that? Why would you do that if you were thinking the hope was that he's asking you to go because you guys might start a relationship again? But, like, it does happen, Elleby, because in this guy's case, the guy that called in, he said once she got there, she's like, yeah, no. That girl's the exception. That's not what every girl goes there. That girl's the exception. You guys tell me. I mean, I think that's what she said. I'm trying to tell you from my perspective. From a chick's perspective, you're thinking, hey, maybe he wants... That is... That's what I would assume. Epiphany for me. Well, okay, so let's say you have a girl... Think about that, Woodsy. Let's say you have a girl out to Vegas.
And the first time she gets her, you guys do dinner and there's just nothing. And the guy being a guy is still willing to have sex with her. The girl is like in her head. She's like, I'm not doing that. She should then say to him, look, this was a mistake and I'd really like to go home. Can you help me change my ticket? I want to get out of here. But you stay four days and that's a tease. You're teasing him. You know why you stay four days? And turn in your butt next. Yeah, because you're having fun. You're in Vegas. You're throwing dyes. No, it's awkward. Maybe you want to go home. What are you supposed to say to somebody? You're supposed to say, I want to go home. Yeah. If you're unsure, you should get your own bed from the get-go. Well, if a girl says this, but we got to back up. Well, then she doesn't get to go. We got to back up. Bam. Yeah, she's not going. Right. But we got to back up because what L.O.B. said was. mind-blowing to me and I think true of a lot of women, right? I'm closest to the dating world than any of you guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Jay hasn't been in it for like 30 years. Yeah, but I remember how it was. Okay, but that was the early 40s and, you know, it was a different time. They were flappers. They were flappers, you know. Go to gin joints. But check this out. She's L.O.B. says, if it's an ex situation, you're still friends with each other, but you're both single. He's in Vegas.
Calls you up, says you want to come out here. Your thought is that he wants to rekindle. And as a guy, I'm telling you, maybe. Maybe. But chances are. He misses me. He wants to see me. Oh, my gosh. Oh, wow. You should know he doesn't. We're different. We got to let you know, ladies. Listen, the Mikey Show is a way to learn things about each other. I want every lady listening right now to know, yes, sometimes it's because he actually is interested in getting back together with you. But I'm going to tell you, Woods, percentage of time he just, he remembers what it was like and he wants to have another role. Yeah, and it's an easily closable deal. In your mind, it's a done deal. She gets on that plane, it's on. Been there, done that. Yeah, it's going to be on. Percentage of chance. Okay, here's the percentage I want to ask you. What is the percentage of men that want her to come out for the sex, not because they're wanting to get back? 94. 95. 95. That's mine. 99. Okay, I think I agree with Jay. No, I say that I believe... But you're asking, like, the biggest sex pervert that you know. No, no, no. That's kind of a speed percent. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Average man. I will say, I'm going to be...
Blatantly, or as frank as possible. 95%, I believe. Easy. 95%. Yeah, say that. And I believe that there are 5% of men who call from Vegas to fly you out because they're interested in rekindling. Let's give it another shot. Let's give it another shot. But see, this is where men and women are different because usually if a dude wants to give it another shot, he goes about it a different way. Oh, yeah. He goes about it a different way. It would be Vegas if I was wanting to give it another shot. Well, not you. I've never been asked to go to Vegas. Well, you know, I'm just using that. But if Jay's using the Vegas as the, if it's Vegas, then you assume that this, well, we're using a hypothetical city. Vegas is Sin City. Yeah, we're using a hypothetical city. Let's say it's Palm Springs. Okay. Oh, I'm still, we're in the desert, we're laying by the pool all day. Hey, how about this though? We're drinking. Ella B, you live in Seattle. Mm-hmm. Okay? So in order to get you to Palm Springs, I got to do some work. Yeah, it's going to cost me a little bit. It's going to cost me a little bit because it's not a direct flight from Seattle to Palm Springs. I'm probably flying you into Ontario. And then I'm flying you into wherever. And I'm probably going to arrange some transport if I don't go pick you up myself because I'm flying in. I live in Phoenix. You live in Seattle. Hey, call you up. Want to go to Palm Springs?
It's a sex romp weekend. That is a sex romp weekend. And if I hear L.O.B. correctly, she is saying that there are women who think, oh my gosh, I think he might want to read Kindle. Yeah, and what we're saying is that there are women out there that are going, sweet, free trip to Palm Springs. Yes. Who would put up with that awkwardness? That's a very specific person. That's not a general person. To go put up with a weekend full of awkwardness and ass to ass. bed sleeping you go there with the intention of thinking yeah if it happened in the past it'll probably happen again if you get there and it's just not there you don't have to you're not you're not obligated what's it uh the chemistry in order to have sex with someone okay so we are we on the same page though that that's all it is we're not talking about a relationship here or even the possibility you can't be as a girl it's really difficult if you've been in a relationship with someone yeah It's hard to just, like, have sex with them even though you're not, if you're emotionally out on the person. It's hard to. We are very different than the women. We're from Mars. They're from Venus. Real good. M1 Rich is from Sorrento Valley. Hey, good morning. Good morning. What I heard earlier was that this gentleman took this woman, this girl he dated, out for, quote, Valentine's Day. A lot of people are overlooking that Valentine's Day portion.
And when somebody asks you for Valentine's Day to go on a trip with them, Nookie is associated with Valentine's Day and a trip and a man and woman. Yeah, you're my Valentine. Yeah, and if you think differently, you're either naive or lying. And you're using. Definitely using. Valentine's Day is usually associated with love, not Nookie. And I think love is just going hand in hand. No way, L.O.B. Come on now. Well, you're both single, so. You're both single. I would prepare for it to happen, but I wouldn't feel obligated in any way because you pay for the room, you get sex. No, sir. Okay, let's talk. Let's talk. It's Valentine's Day. It's Valentine's Day. It's coming up. Ooh, I'm going to make it even harder. I'm going to make it even tougher. I agree. Let's say I've been interested. We're not exes. Nothing's gone down. Oh, man, dude. You don't even have to play that card. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Let me say it, and then you tell me. Okay. You know I'm interested. I'm giving every vibe that I'm interested. You also know that I'm in sales, and I make some pretty good coin. Okay? We've never been in a relationship together, and Valentine's Day is coming up. And for Valentine's Day, I invite you to...
A ski trip to Vail. And we're going to stay in this nice resort. Okay? In a guy's mind, it is 100%. Not 99. Dude. Hold on. No, man. Listen. Listen. You're telling me that that guy doesn't think that there's going to be something. I'm telling you I have a shred. They're in my mind. Okay. 98%. I have a shred that she's going to get out here and pull the bit of like. So if she doesn't. If she doesn't have sex with you, it means she doesn't like you. Wait, wait, wait. This is what you were saying. Mr. Wait for marriage till sex. Oh, yeah. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. Before we even started, I said, this is old Mike. Okay, so a girl has to have sex with you in order to show you that she likes you. Even old Mike? No, no, no. Wait. I didn't even get to finish my scenario. Okay. My scenario. So, I believe that it is 100% in the guy's mind that if she's taking that trip...
she is probably going to put out. Can't say 100% and probably. Okay. Can't say 100%. Okay. All right. 95% sure. Yeah. I think so too. And I think if it were me and I booked that trip, I'm like, yes, this is it. I'm going to get her there. I'm going to wine her and dine her and do the whole bit. And then, you know, but if, if she doesn't. I don't really have a leg to stand on. Yeah. I don't. You don't. Because I've never had sex with him before. Okay. I don't have a leg. I'm like, damn it. Let's say. It didn't happen. Now let's say it's the ex. It's the ex situation. Still friends. Guaranteed. 100? 100. It's got to be. Yeah. On Valentine's Day? A trip? Guaranteed. If I invite. Oh my gosh, ladies. You are a bunch of users if this is true. You are a user if all you want is sex. If this is true. That's the whole reason I'm going. Why don't you just get a Motel 6 in freaking Chula Vista? Why are you planning a weekend away? I'll tell you why. Because Vail is a beautiful place and you're a beautiful girl. So you only want sex? I want to ski. You will. We're gonna. We're gonna. So you're saying you can't do any of that without having sex. And you're saying. And you're saying. Then get two beds.
Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I can't believe it. I'll take a buddy and then go cruise chicks and bail. You're a blocker then. It's like bringing sand to the beach at that point. No, it's not. You guys are saying girls are obligated to have sex if they go on a weekend trip with you. That's absolutely disgusting and ridiculous, and I stand by that statement. Obligated is a strong word. That's what you're saying. If you're paying, we're obligated. That's ridiculous. Wait. Okay, I believe that expect is a strong word and obligated is a strong word. You hope for it. We. Hoping for it. I got the word. I got the word. Deserve it. No. Yeah, that's what he's saying. We anticipate it. Anticipate it. We plan for it. Anticipate it. And if it doesn't happen, we're users. 100%. 100%. Yeah, tease. Get your own room. Definitely tease. Your tease and a user. That's disgusting. I'm really glad that I'm in a relationship right now if that's the way that men think. And I am figuring out.
How disgusting women can be. Disgusting? Yes. If we don't put out, we're users. That girl. That girl's a user. Sorry if we want to wait. You know it's expected of you. No, I don't. Well, you should. Well, that's disgusting, and I'm glad I was never in a relationship with you. Guys, pretend this for a moment. Pretend this for a moment. You dated a chick. You invite her for Valentine's Day to a place. She says yes. Of course. That's what you're thinking. So if she just kisses you, then she's a user. She's crazy for going with me. Yeah. She shouldn't have gone. She shouldn't have gone. She says, you know, we're not at that point in our relationship where we're shacking up. She saw a free ski trip. She saw a free ski trip. Maybe she's not a whore. Maybe she's not a whore. Free ski trip. And you know what she fell back on? She goes, hey, here's my trump card. If he calls me on this, all I have to do is go. Oh, my gosh. You guys are adding a bar. She's a prostitute that's not delivering. She's charging you. She's not giving you the goods. She didn't ask for the trip. She accepted the trip. That's the agreement. That's a trip. That's not sex.
You guys should just start buying prostitutes, and there you go. You'll be taken care of. Okay, let me turn it around. Don't ask nice girls to go on trips with you. Just go on a trip by yourself and get a prostitute. It'll cost you just as much money. Prostitutes are different. You don't pay them for sex. You pay them to leave, L.O.B. That's a little bit of prostitution. Nice girls don't go on trips with guys. Well, let's turn it around. What? Let's turn it around. If you're a nice girl, you don't stay in my bedroom with me. If you're a nice girl. Yeah, that I've already slept with. Let's turn it around, though. Because women anticipate a couple of things, too. Women anticipate that on a date, a guy will pick up the tab. Yes. Don't they? Especially a first date. Yeah. I mean, there's kind of anticipations gender-wise. I think they go both ways. And that are understood. Aren't there? That is. I mean, that's understood. Women, you take a poll of women, 100% of women would say on a first date the man is supposed to pay. Of course he is. And we agree. And we agree. Yeah, so paying for dinner is the same thing as having sex. Oh, every guy thinks it. Every guy thinks it. I'm outnumbered and I'm disgusted. I want to know what chicks think. 570-1949. 570-1949. M1 Sarah.
From San Marcos. Hi. Hi. Well, actually, I was not in a relationship with this guy, but we had been friends for years, and I knew that he had had a crush on me in the past. But he offered to, he had all these miles, offered to fly me down to Puerto Vallarta, and it sounded like a great trip, and I'm good friends with him. I wanted to hang out with him. He figured if you said yes, sex. I got it. Yeah. Right. But I had that same thought, and I wanted to make it very clear before we went that that wasn't going to happen. There you go. That's fine. Cool. That's fine. I'm surprised you still went on the trip. Yeah, that's cool. That's a friend. Well, but sometimes... He was actually upset that I brought it up, but I tried to make it really clear that that was, you know... Wait, wait. He's a friend, but you knew he kind of... Well, she knew he did. Yeah. She said that. Yeah, she knew he liked her. So she threw it out there. That's a good call. That's a great call. That's apples and oranges. You guys are talking about someone that you see potential in. And just because you go on a trip and decide that you're not ready to have sex with this person, you're now a prostitute that's not delivering. Do this. If the guy is an ex that you used to sleep with and he calls you and he says you want to go on a trip to Vail, and if you do what she did and you say, hey, that sounds really cool. By the way, I got to put this out there.
There's not going to be any hanky-panky. But what if you go there with the intention of thinking that there could be and then you see the guy and you're like, I'm not into it anymore. If you think there could be. He's gained weight. His hair is receding. Fair enough. Fair enough. That is all fair enough. Oh, wait, wait, wait. He picked up smoking. If you're going to be shallow. and say that because I've gained... I'm not attracted to you. I can't have sex with you if I'm not attracted to you. I thought it was emotional. It's both. Oh. It's both. Okay. It's both. Yeah, you write it down. Write it down. It's common knowledge. I would appreciate if a girl was like Sarah and said, hey, listen, I'll go to Vail with you. That's a completely different situation. I'm amazed that Sarah still went on the trip. You went, Sarah? It was, yeah, and I went. And it was, I mean, the conversation beforehand, before we even bought the tickets, I wanted to be really clear. That was the most awkward conversation was just bringing it up. I was shaking, thinking, you know, is that really presumptuous of me to even say this? No, it was smart. It was heads up. It was proactive. So you still went on the trip. How was the trip?
The trip was great. I think that we got the awkwardness. Got it out of the way. And see, men are dumb enough. We are dumb enough to be like, well, maybe. She says that now. But if I get her down here, get a couple pina coladas in there, I got a shot. It was my next question. Yeah. Did you do it? Did you guys do anything? No. Okay. That's too bad. Same bedroom? Same bedroom? Yeah, same bedroom, but different beds. Freaking room. Lucy. Oh, gosh. Lucy and Desi. The poor bastard. Staying out there in Puerto Vallarta. Poor bastard. Like two grand in the hole. She's damned if she does. She's damned if she doesn't. Well, you know. Women can't win, basically. No, no, no. She did the right thing. She did the right thing. I believe she did. You should always throw it out there. Like, hey, nothing's going to happen. But that's a friend. If I go there and I don't know what's going to happen. You should just tell me right off the bat. It's not an obligation. If you don't know, it's like, hey, look, nothing's going to happen. So you have to go and go, I'm going to make sex to this person. If I say yes to it. Obligation is a strong anticipation. Absolutely. If you go on the trip without throwing out the disclaimer that, hey, look, we're not doing it, I'm assuming we're doing it. So if your daughters go on trips with people, you just assume that they're doing it? I assume they're doing it. Wow. Jay does. Well, hey, listen. Wow. He's very grown up about his grown up kids. Yeah. You know. Hey, listen. I am learning some stuff today. So am I.
Well, if you're learning that men are pigs and I'm learning that women are users. That's not what I said, but thank you for summarizing it that way. I think that the deal is that we're pigs. Yeah. I think the deal is we're pigs. I'll take it. Yeah, I'll take it. I'll take it. Horny pigs. But if it was an ex, and she goes, listen, I'll go to Vale for Valentine's Day, but I just want you to know before I ever get there, there's not going to be any hanky-panky. It's like a needle in a balloon. I know. I wish Hillary were in here with me right now. Oh, my goodness. What would she say that was different? I'm outnumbered by you guys. And it's just, it's a very frustrating conversation because you're not seen. Well, we're giving the guy point of view. You're giving the chick point of view. Right, right. You know, I mean, and this is, it's all gender related. It's all gender. You know, whatever gender you are is the way you think. You know, so it's not us against you. It's men. I wish I had another voice to back me in this. Come here, Nicole. Come here. I want to hear what another woman thinks. This is a 19-year-old girl. And when you grow up, when you mature, there's something different that happens too. I guarantee at 30 years old you know stuff you didn't know. Oh, yeah. Okay, so Nicole, you got an ex-boyfriend, right? Let's pretend this is hypothetical land. You got an ex.
You guys are broken up, but still friendly with one another. You guys still talk. Everything's cool. You're single. He's single. He calls you up. He says, hey, want to go to Vail? Do a little snowboarding? And you like Vail, and it sounds great, and it's this really... How about he calls you? He goes, you in front of a computer? And you go, yeah. And he goes, go to www.badassvaleresort.com. And you type it in and you're like, whoa. And he goes, now go to the left-hand side and see where it says sweets? Click on that. And you go, okay. And you click on that. And then he goes, you see the third one down? It's called Premiere. That was a very slanted question. And you go, yeah. And you click on it. And it's just, there might as well be a picture of like, you know. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on their stage. It's legit. It's legit. It's legit. What runs through your head? Do you think to yourself, is there a possibility that you could go and think, well, he's, this could just be like, because we're friends. No. No. Definitely not. You would not think this is because we're friends. No. But that argument's not being made by anyone at this point.
I'm not making that argument that you're going as friends. I guess it really depends on if you if the two people have been talking before or like just I don't know if they made the whole like friend. Let's say you hadn't say you hadn't talked for a year, but he calls you up and he's like, hey. I don't think it changes. I don't think it changes a bit. At least in a man's mind, I think it can be two years have gone by and you're like, okay, so here's the pointed question. When you go, if you say yes, do you know that you're agreeing to Hanky Panky? Yeah. If you don't want Hanky Panky, would you say yes? No. There you go. That's the way I think. But what if you get there and you change your mind? Like, what if you get there and the guy's being a total jerk? Or he's unattractive now? But if...
It's not like you're planning on changing your mind once you get there. But if it happens, you don't have to put it out. And I'll give that to you. I'll give that to you. Like, if you get there and the guy's become, like, weird. He's a load and he's smoking cigars. He's, you know, dipping him in his cognac. You're like, what the hell? At that point, you should just be honest with him and tell him that you're not feeling it anymore. What if you're into a guy romantically and you've never, you've still never had sex with him? You're just kind of like you're dating and he takes it to the level of the overnight trip. Do you assume that because he's taking you to an overnight trip, now you have to give sex to him? And you never had sex before? No. No. But you're sleeping in the same bed? Oh, I don't know. No. See, that's... It's one room. Well, it's not even... That hasn't even been discussed. All you know is you're staying in the same room. Yeah. Of course you think you're going to sleep together. Other things happen in beds before... What are we going to... Snuggle bunnies? Yeah. Snuggle bunnies over here? You would have to say, it's like, where am I going to sleep? That should be your question. Where am I going to sleep? Oh, my gosh. Yeah, that happens. I'll get your own room. With someone you're starting to date, where am I going to sleep? Hey, if you don't ask the question...
You got to ask for the order. Gear up. Ladies, I'll tell you this. This is how you know that a guy is not thinking about sex. He says, hey, let's get three rooms. Yeah. That's how you know you're just pals. It's not saying that he's not thinking about it. We're thinking about it, too. But if it doesn't happen, we don't have to feel bad about ourselves. You should have your own room. No, but we are going to be wondering. Why are you here? To see where it was going to go. For a field trip? What is a field trip? What, are you on a school paper? I love it. I wasn't so sure to watch the Mikey Show now. Bye, gorgeous. Good job. Here's plastic. Excellent job. Huh? Mikey. 570-1949. Uh-huh. Or text. That is funny. At 949mikey at gmail.com. Look, I like to climb and I like to eat edamame, okay? On FM 94.9. Taylor Guitars sent this thing to me. And I want to tell you about it because it's pretty incredible. They're doing this thing where they've got all these vintage guitars.
Not just vintage guitars, but just like guitars. And Taylor is a local company. They make really, really good guitars. The best guitars. They're freaking phenomenal. And they got this thing going on. For Christmas, it's a sale. And they don't do this really. Saturday, December 10th, 2011. And we got a buddy over there and she said, we're trying to create a frenzy. And I said, well. When I tell people about this, it's going to create a frenzy. They're giving friend and family pricing. Friend and family pricing. Never opened it to the public before. No. This is the first year. I read it and I was like, that's awesome. So Saturday, December 10th from 10 to 3. Is it at the Taylor factory? At the Taylor factory. It's an El Cajon. It's an El Cajon. They're the greatest guitars known to man. They sound so good.
And in terms of, like, well, where, blah, blah, blah, you can figure it out. It's the Taylor guitar. I mean, it's on Gillespie Way, but figure it out. It's a sale where it's friends and family. Pricing. Christmas gift, honey, if you're listening. Oh, my goodness. That's pretty awesome. I've asked for about 150 things for Christmas, so I doubt that I'll get everything I wanted. I've been asking for exercise things. It's an isolate on that, L.O.B. It's an isolate. Like what? So I know what maybe to get you. I will tell this story, but I have to divert my eyes from L.O.B. Oh, yeah. Because she will get me. I see it. She's sharpening her shiv right now. It's already sharp. It's going... She's going to get you. Let me tell you. We have to get the sound effect of a bow and arrow. Because I feel sometimes it's like... So, oh gosh. I'll tell you the story. I'll tell you the story. Yes. But don't ruin it because I want this to happen. Right. Do we all understand that? See, if you guys, I haven't brought this up. Even off the air, I haven't brought it up. I haven't brought it up because I don't want you guys to ruin it. If you say the wrong things, it won't happen. Okay. Do we all understand this? Yeah, totally. Sort of. Oh, when I say what it is.
You'll understand completely. Okay. You want a Bowflex. No. No, that's not really it. I want a Bowflex. Wait a second. Oh, my God. I got to go. Mikey. What did I just say, Jay? Did I really just guess it? Yes. You know what it is? Of course we do. No, wait. It's not what you think. Yeah. It's not what you think. Don't talk, Jay. I beg you to shut up. I've watched late night television. I can't turn off his freaking microphone. Shut it. Wait, don't talk for a second. It's not what you're thinking. You're probably thinking of the Bowflex that has like the bands and the full on deal. No, it isn't that. It's a bench and it's those dumbbells that you dial the weight and lift out the dumbbell. Right. Okay. And it's a stand that you put the dumbbells on. Hmm. Hmm. Jay. Jay. Jay. He didn't say anything. He didn't say anything. He did, too. He did. He said, huh. And that says it all. Technically, they didn't say anything. I wasn't going to bring this up, Jay. Hmm. Okay. Continue.
So a Bowflex dumbbell set. Yeah. It's in the name. What? Dumbbell? Dumbbell. You need something else to hang your clothes off. Darn it. Now you broke the seal. Mikey. You don't need top of the line. Just come to the gym with me. I need a workout buddy anyway. Are you going to get the shaker weight? What about the ab cruncher? It's probably just as effective. I can take it. I can take it. And now back to the Mikey Show. With Mikey. What does it do, Jay? It makes it 3D. I wanted one of those avatars to be like, and like beat my face and go. Woods, if 16-year-old girls are in on something, I'm out on it. Lauren. I'm very aggressive when it comes to lines. And Jay. If you want any, you'll be nice to me. Yes, ma'am. On FM 94.9. It's 5 o'clock in the morning. Conversation got boring. You said you'd go into bed soon. So I snuck off to your bedroom. And I thought I'd just wait there. It's five o'clock in the morning. And I want you. And you want me. Don't you? I can see it. Because you've been waiting on me since I said that I was hitting the club. What is this? This is T-Pain. Yeah. With Lily Allen. Five o'clock. I like it. I listened to it pretty good. I listened to it about a hundred times last night. Walked around. Five o'clock in the morning.
I got something interesting here for you. Rolling Stone put out their 10 greatest guitarist list. Yes, I perused it on the plane very deeply. Here's what we got. Number 10, Pete Townsend. The who? Absolutely. Innovator. I don't know. I mean, I guess I just asked myself, Woods, what is... Criterion? Yeah. I'd say skill. I'd say flair. I'd say attitude. I'd say, what's the word I'm looking for? Inventiveness. Okay. Sound. When you hear it, if I played you a clip and you know a lot about guitar and you're like, oh, it's Eddie Van Halen. Or that's a Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. They all have their own sound. Yeah. I've been playing guitar for years and I've tried, like I've literally, I've pressed two amps up against each other to try to make my own sound. Right. You can't do it. Yeah. You can't do it.
Number nine, Dwayne Allman. Oh, so good. Blues, so good. Number eight, Eddie Van Halen. It's got to be higher. Well, of course it does. He's got to be higher. And I know who he should replace on that list. Number seven, Chuck Berry. Innovator. Innovator pretty much created like that rock and roll guitar sound. That guy could flat out shred. Yeah. For back then. All right, I'm down with Chuck Berry. B.B. King. Same thing. Blues, same bit. Lucille? Jeff Beck. Listen, I'm going to get killed, but that's the one that got me a little bit. I'm like, look, I know. Here's the deal. I can't name you one Jeff Beck song. I really can't. I know the guy's a great guitar player. I know he's famous for being a great guitar, but I never got into him. I've heard the name. Can't tell you anything that he does. He was in the Yardbirds, which was Jimmy Page's first band. Number four, Keith Richards.
That's another tough one for me. I love his attitude, his style. He's the greatest. The guy's a legend, but he's not that great a guitar player. He does a lot of open tuning. I've studied some of these guys, and he's just not that good. It's your body of work, though. Body of work, yeah. I mean, body of work, but I'll tell you what, man. Brian Jones in his band was better than him, and Ron Wood's just as good as Keith Richards. See, what I like about the list is that they have a lot of genres. Yes. And so with the genres, you go... I got to give it up to Chuck Berry. I got to give it up to B.B. King. Right. You know what I mean? Yeah. You know, like if we're talking shredders here. Eddie Van Halen. Okay. It's Eddie Van Halen. Absolutely. I get it. And that means that Ingevey Malmsteen's not going to be on the list. And the reason he's not? Because Eddie's there. Eddie is. All right. Number three, Jimmy Page. 100%. Could do it all. Could do acoustic, electric, had the violin bow. You convinced me. And dude. No, and when I say he convinced me, I think he's great. Yeah, 12-string. I mean, dude. Love the music. Anything that that guy did. And, you know, I mean, he did, he would layer 15 guitar parts on top of each other. Yeah. That's how talented that guy was. He's unbelievable. Clapton, number two. Is that Tracy Chapman? Oh, boy. Tracy Chapman is not on the list. This list is just. Yeah, Clapton is, you know, the old saying in England was Clapton is God. Somebody wrote it on a wall.
And everyone's like, yeah, he's one of the greatest ever, too. The number one guitarist that they list is Jimi Hendrix. Signature sound. Nobody like him. I mean, so far out of left field, so far out of left field. When you saw Hendrix, your mind was immediately blown because you'd never heard that before. It's like when they saw Elvis. Yeah. They'd never seen it. Hendrix is so good and effortless. That's the thing about him. Now, I guess I am. Suede, but I say Eddie Van Halen. Eddie's got to be up there. I'd have put him number one. He's got to be in the top four. He's in the top four. He takes Jeff Beck's spot. See, here's what I do. I go, okay, the number one guitarist they put on here is Jimi Hendrix. Okay. My personal number one would be Eddie Van Halen. Right. Here's what I would like to happen. I want Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix to walk into a room together and give an account of the other. I want Jimmy to go, give me what you got. Yeah. Like a duel? And Eddie shreds. And then Jimmy shreds. And then they see what they think about each other's judges. It's personal preference because Jimmy had this really kind of dark, heavy distortion sound. And Eddie had that...
Clean. Those clean licks. So it's totally different. Well, I wonder this. I wonder if Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix watch each other play, and if Jimi Hendrix goes, can you do what I just did? Eddie probably could. And Jimi probably couldn't. And could Eddie say to Jimi Hendrix, I'm going to do this, and when I'm done, can you do what I just did? That'd be tough. Now, Eddie, okay, how about this? Eddie Van Halen walks into a room with Chuck Berry, and Chuck Berry does his thing. It's different. Chuck Berry does his thing and then says, hey, Eddie, can you do that? I know. That's the difference. See, to me, it's like, what? Eddie Van Halen, to me, will always be the number one guitarist because he's capable of doing something that I've never seen anyone do before. But see, Chuck Berry did that back in the day. We just weren't around then. Eric Clapton did it back in the day. Clapton, Page, those guys took from blues. And Dwayne Allman from like Robert Johnson, those old blues guys. Yeah. That nobody had ever brought to the forefront of music. And that's what those cats did. So, Woodsy, give me some honorable mentions. Dude, I got to go Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. Absolutely. I got to go Jack White.
from the White Stripes. He does stuff with a guitar that just shouldn't be done. I'll give you Jack White. I got to tell you, and I looked through the list. I think Jack White should have been in the top ten. One of my personal favorites is Mike McCready from Pearl Jam. He's the most underrated guitar player ever. He was a judge in that, but he wasn't voted into the top hundred. Tell me about him. Why is he... Emotional, like... But why is he a good guitar player? Because you feel it when he plays it, and he's so... good at what he does. And the licks that he has, I mean, he's soloing. They're unique licks? Unique. And his solos are unbelievable. I'll show you some stuff. Watch the Pearl Jam documentary, 20. He'll blow your mind. He will blow your mind. Mike McCready. I totally changed my view of him. Of Mike McCready? How great is he? Yeah. He's phenomenal. And he's not in the top 100. And I'm blown away when you look at, you talk about body of work. Man. Guy's something. Honorable mention. You got any honorable mentions? I haven't seen the full list yet or really tied with it. I heard your top 10. Is Mars Volta on there? I don't think he was on there. I don't think the guy from Mars Volta was on there. Again, there's 100 of them, so I went through them on the plane and I looked at them and was like, I mean, there's a... You know who number 11 was? There's two women on the list? Two. That's it. Not in the top 10. Right, no, in the top 100. Who was it?
Do you remember? Joan Jett. Joan Jett? No, she's Tracy Chapman. She's not that good a guitar player. She jams, but she's not that, like, proficient. No, I need to check that out. Who are the chicks? I don't know, but I heard somewhere that there was only two. George Harrison. George Harrison was a phenomenal guitar player. Gosh, he was good. I mean, the Beatles are great. The Beatles were great. No, he is phenomenal. Give me a song that I can go, okay. And that's what I need. I need a song where I can go listen to it and be like, yeah, you got a point. You guys are great. Got a point. Here were some other ones. Billy Corgan. I'll agree. I think those are the judges. Doesn't it say those are the judges? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Voters, voters. Yeah, voters. But some of these guys, I mean, in their own right. Tom Morello. Tom Morello, he's in the top 20, I believe. Santana. Gotcha. Wow. How come Santana's not in the top 10? Jerry Garcia out in there. Jerry Garcia is not on it. He may be in the top 100. Trey has to be in the 100. Trey's on there. Trey's in the top 100 from Fish. That's right. Mick. That's my man. Mars. What? Oh, barf. Come on. God jams up. He jams. I mean, I'm not mad at Dr. Feelgood, but I'm not. But really. Kirk Hammett.
Oh, Metallica? Are we talking top 100 now? Yeah. Well, these guys, these are voters. These are the guys that were all getting together and voting. But I said a lot of these guys in their own right. Aerosmith, Joe Perry. Joe Perry. In his own right. Slash is an honorable mention. Has his own sound. When you hear it, you're like, that's Slash. Yes, yes. I would love to see these guys. Like when we had Dallas Green in here. And you just got to see him messing around. Yeah. That's incredible. I look at what he does messing around, and I look at what I do messing around, and it makes me sick. It makes me not want to play. You know, you're like, gosh. But that guy, you got to think about it, man. That dude, he said that he started playing when he was seven. I think he said seven. And he would just spend hours and hours and hours and hours and hours. That's the one thing I didn't do. And that's all he would do. So there it is. Top one of the full. Top 100 is in Rolling Stone. It's fascinating. I read the whole deal. It's really good. We just got the issue. Brian May. Oh, so good, man. For sure. Alex Lifeson. Yeah, from Rush. He's on there. Phenomenal. Yeah. Very clean and proficient. I think they should do that. I think they should do a top 10 with every instrument. Drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. I'd like to see that. I'd love to see that. I would love to see the top 10 vocalists. Me too. Ever.
I know there would be stuff on there where I would go, really? Have you seen It Might Get Loud? Yes, and I love it. It's a documentary about three really influential dudes. Jack White, Jimmy Page, and Bono. The Edge. The Edge, sorry. Phenomenal. Now, that's the thing about The Edge. You could have his rig all set up, and Eddie Van Halen probably couldn't do, he couldn't pick up that guitar plugged into that rig and make that. Right. Same deal. Crazy technology. Edge is phenomenal. Phenomenal. And doesn't know a chord. If you told the edge, play a D, he would look at you like, what's a D? Really? You mean this one? Like, he's that guy. Really? Yeah. He just has his own. He plays it. He plays it the way he plays it. By ear. And really, like, he just, the way he does it, that's what comes out. And that makes a good guitar player. Yeah, see, I didn't know that there were guys that learned how to play guitar. On their own. Oh, yeah. Back in the day. Because how did they know where to put their fingers? Who knows? These guys used to listen to, in the Pearl Jam documentary, Vedder says that he used to take Ramones records. And he turned one channel off. Right. So it would just be through the left channel. So all he'd hear was a guitar. And he would make his guitar sound like what that guitar sounded like. And I'm like, really? How do you do that?
