Skye is our news girl. She's 29 years old for three more days. Yep, last time you get to say that. Oh, it is the last time I get to say that. Next time you see Skye, she'll be 30. Big 3-0. How about that? I knew you were your little girl. Can't wait for the big party. What are you doing, Skye? What? No? What do you have planned? Yeah, what's the deal? Nothing. I haven't gotten the invite. What's up with that? Oh, it must be a surprise party or something. That's what I'm assuming. You're guessing. That's what I'm assuming. It's a surprise party. But I didn't get the invite. All right, listen. What's up with that? I know that people will find this very out of character, but I believe something should happen for this 30th birthday. I've been talking to Sky about this for like a month. About, you know, like, what's the hub doing? Like, when are we getting together? What's the party? The husband is taking me to Outback. What else? That's the big plan. But what else? But it's your 30th. Like, if there's one time, I'm okay with you having a big deal about your birthday. Skye, me too. And I'm being 100% serious. That's crazy. I believe, like, and I'm going to say this too. I've been very apathetic, and I'll tell you why. I really, truly believed, no, something's going on.
Something's happening. I still believe that. I just don't know about it. And, like, this conversation is all a ruse to throw me over. It's not. But I didn't get the invite. I didn't get the invite yet. I didn't either. Maybe it's a surprise to us, too. It'll be great. No surprise party ever. I told her, man, if I had a bigger place, I would throw her a party. Like, I feel terrible. It's the big three. Oh! It's the 30th. Skye, would you be open to... Because now that it's Friday, October 19th, I'm starting to go, I don't think anything's going to happen this weekend. What the hell? What? But would you be open to having a bigger celebration after your actual birthday? I mean, I guess. It's kind of like it's already done. But why does your husband not want to throw you? Why does he hate me? Why does he hate you?
I think it's payback for his 30th birthday. What did you do? Remember, I forgot. Yeah, you don't remember that? Eddie, it's one of the things marked in my notebook as the best of it. I forgot about that. The story that she told about her missing her husband's birthday. I made other plans. Oh, well, now I don't feel that bad. Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't know. I mean, my mom wants to take us bowling this weekend. Oh, look at you. Wow. Hey. Come on. Off the hook. Yeah, dude. It's going to be crazy. Yeah, settle down. It's going to be crazy. Yeah, I want to do something. I want to do something for your 30th birthday. We're going to go to lunch, so that's cool. This is a time where you are in the right about this, and you deserve to be a little bummed out about it. I don't know. I'm not bummed out, and I don't know what the deal is. I don't know if that, like... It's cool as long as I, you know, see my friends and hang out and whatever. It's cool. Or if, like, after the day passes, like, part of me believes that I really think in the back of my mind that there's some surprise. I get rid of that real fast. Yeah, I get rid of it. Sean, when are you flying up? Yeah, Sean. Well, I think it's the 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, you know, those are the milestones.
And all the ones in between are not milestones. I just don't think that anything with a five in it is not a milestone. But anything with a zero in it is, for sure. So, well, Sky, tell me something about you. I don't know if I've ever told you guys this. Did you guys know that I didn't go to high school the second half of my senior year? Yeah, I went to junior college. You did? Yeah. Did you graduate early from high school? No, no. Basically, so I was so over it, you know, I was kind of in that space. I was like dating a guy who had already graduated. So I was like over the whole high school scene. And I was waiting tables and I was making decent money waiting tables. And I knew I could make more money if I worked more shifts during school hours. I only needed like one class to graduate. And I'm like, why am I going to go to school a whole semester if I only need one class to graduate? So they let me take the one class at junior college at West Valley. And then I worked. But they said I could still go to prom and still graduate and walk classes. How did you convince them to let you do that? I guess it didn't really take much convincing. I guess it's something that happens. You know, if people want to work and make money and, you know, and they can take those same classes at another facility. So it was pretty cool. But it was kind of weird. You know, all my friends looked at me like I was an alien. You're going to leave high school in the middle of your senior year. Oh, my God. What are you doing? You know. That's what I did.
So I would come back occasionally and visit during lunch hour and just stroll onto campus. I did not do that. No, you didn't? You were in San Francisco. Did you still go to prom and stuff? No. I wasn't allowed to do anything school related. I did want to do that. I had friends. So were you basically kicked out of school at a certain point? Here's how it went down. I had a teacher, Mrs. Sarek's dad, walk up to me in class. Great lady. Really cool chick. On one of those 20 classes that I went to, I showed up to her class because I liked her. And I liked the people in the class. And they were all doing a group project. And I didn't even know about the group project. I'm like, oh, cool, group project. I walked in there. Everybody's like, you know, sitting in circles. And so I noticed a couple people that were friends of mine. So I went and got in their circle. And everybody's like talking. I'm doing my thing, making jokes, not caring about whatever they're doing. And she comes up to me and she goes, hey.
I just want you to know it's totally okay with me if you want to stay. But she was like, she was one of the people at Gilroy High School that was in charge of the graduates. So she knew everything about the graduates and where everybody's credits were in terms of how many credits she needed to graduate. And so she said to me, it's totally okay if you want to stay. She goes, I have to tell you, there is no way. that you're graduating. There's nothing that you can do at this point to graduate. Because it was like, I don't know, March, I'd been to 20 classes my whole senior year. So she said, there's no way that you're going to graduate. And I go, really? I go, so technically I don't even need to be here? She goes, oh, no, you definitely don't need to be. You can't graduate. And so I left right then. I walked off campus, and I never went back. That was my last day of school. Now, my dad said, and it was funny thinking back on it now because my dad was so furious, and now I think back on it, and I'm like, you weren't even keeping track of where I was, bro. I was mad about the fact, like, hello? Maybe you should have gotten mad 80 years ago when I wasn't going, you know? But anyway, but ultimately it was on me.
Wow. But he said, yeah, so if you if you're not going to be in school, you got to get out of here. You can't live here. This is a be in school living house. So he kicked me out. I was 19. He kicked me out. And or no, this is when I was still seven. He kicked me out a few times. This is when I was still 17. But yeah, he kicked me out and he gave me enough money. He asked me where I was going. And I said, you know, obviously through tears because I had to get out of my house. I said, I don't know. And he gave me a little time to think about it, where I was going to go. Made a few phone calls. And my brother Sam in Tucson said he would let me stay with him. Like, he gave me like two weeks or three weeks to get a job. And I said, okay. And so I told my dad, Sam will let me come to Tucson. And so my dad gave me enough money for the gas trip, you know, from Gilroy to Tucson. Like enough money to buy gas. And I had to leave. And I drove to Tucson and got a job at a Chinese restaurant that I worked at for three days. Three whole days? Three days, and I quit. Because I got a job at a radio station being an overnight board operator. Hey, Cubby. Not that one. Cubby came later. But, yeah, that's how it all began. That is fascinating to me. It's a trippy story. It really is. I hated that job, Ash.
What do you call it job? The board op job? Right. You know what I would do? Now, this was before it is now. They have computers to run everything. Back in the day, and it was an elevator music station, which they don't even have anymore. They don't even have elevator music stations anymore. Shut up. And it played music like... So you were just a board op for that station? Yes. Okay. And it had reel-to-reel machines. set up three reel-to-reel machines on the top three reel-to-reel machines on the bottom and each reel-to-reel would play for one hour and so it would play and then it would stop and another one would start like this was real high-tech advanced automation so one would stop and then another one would start it was my job to go in and take the reel-to-reel off and put a new reel-to-reel on and then it was also my job to put the commercials which were on these little eight tracks to plug them into the machines that played the commercials. And what I would do is I would sleep on the couch and set an alarm clock for the hour. So I'd sleep for an hour and get up and go change them. And I remember that one of the morning guys' name was on the air, Skippy. And I'll never forget Skippy coming in one morning and he walked past me and I kind of woke up and like looked at him and I'll never forget him going, don't get up.
Like, that was his joke. Don't get up. And then walk down. And I thought that was very funny. I always remember. I still remember. So you worked overnights? I worked overnights. Yeah. And what I would do is I would call the other shows in town that had overnight live, overnight DJs, and I would do voices. You know? I would call and go, hey, this is Ozzy Ozzy. And they thought that was funny, and they put me on the air. And this one guy put me on the air all the time at this rock station. He put me on all the time. Well, his boss heard me and liked me better than, Him. And so he fired that guy and he hired me and put me in overnights. That's awesome. That's how you got to do it. That was Royce. That was Royce. I love it. Royce Blake, man. Working your way up. On the show today, Ashley Pyramid. We'll see how well Skye speaks Ashley. She speaks very well. That's right. What else we got going on? We...
also have Eddie making the picks against the Charger girls. I got a crazy email about this guy that went on a date and maybe the craziest woman I've ever heard about on a date. Andrea Lake. Good friend Andrea Lake who was on the TV show The Apprentice but we know her and she's doing something in San Diego. We'll get her on the phone and talk about it. And the Dumb Chick Challenge of course. The Dumb Chick Challenge today. Don't forget. Rob's DNA results are in November 1st. We find out November 1st whether or not Boston Rob is a father. Same day as Game 7 of the World Series. Just a little fun fact. Is that true? That's true. What if you got two bad pieces of news the same day? That'd be bad. I'm still going to play you the new Rob and Ashley song, which we premiered yesterday, but if you missed it, I'll replay it. Awesome!
So you can hear that. It's the Kid Rock's and Sheryl Crow's picture. So we'll do that. Yeah. Made with love. A ton more. So Mitch Hedberg in the Stand-Up Spotlight. The Mikey Show Stand-Up Spotlight. 105.3 Advil has a candy coating. It's delicious. And it says right on the bottle, do not have more than two. Well, then do not put a candy coating around it. For I cannot help myself. Let me have ten Advil. You gotta... I got a sweet tooth. I think I screwed part of that joke up. I apologize about that. Yeah, I saw this commercial on TV. It said, you can water your hard-to-reach plants with this product. Now, who would make their plants hard to reach? That seems so very mean. I know you need water, but I'm going to make you hard to reach. I will throw water at you. Hopefully, they'll invent a product before you shrivel and die.

I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show, is this Ryan? Yes, sir. This is Ryan. What's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? I have a monster truck. I went to AIS and they saved me. I had basically, I had just a regular car before I had this monster truck. I had the monster truck and I still save $600 every quarter, every six months on my insurance. That's pretty awesome. We were talking about this earlier because we had dinner last night with a couple of ladies from AIS. And it literally... Tell me the truth, Brian. If you don't have it, you can tell me. Do you have AIS or no? I do not. Okay, dude. I'm talking to Brian who's in the studio right now. Hey, dude. So you save $600 every six months? Yes, sir. At first... $1,200 a year. I tried to hide my truck around the corner and just say it was a basic truck. And I started talking to him.
They're like, what kind of lift do you have? And I'm like, you know what? I got a nine-inch lift, and I got gas shocks and everything. They're like, don't worry about it. We'll take care of you. You know you're a nut for the Mikey show when you feel that every member of the show is like family. You know you're a nut for the Mikey show when You ask everyone to please refer to you as P1 Bob or P1 Angie. Love the Mikey show. What do we got going on? Give me a question real quick. Yes, yes, go ahead, Boston Rob. Who's that? Who's talking to you? I don't know. Who is that guy? What song is that that you were just playing? Alicia Keys. Duh. Alicia Keys, the song's called No One. Dude, did you dig that? I heard it the other day. Brand new.
No one said what it was. I couldn't find out. So, yeah, man. It's the first time I've ever heard it. I told Ashley to please get me songs that are relevant and cool because I'm not relevant and cool, and she did a good job of it. Now I want to hear the singing because I wasn't paying attention. Oh, dude, you got to listen to it. She kills it in this. From what I hear, Alicia Keys got a real good voice. Oh, yeah. That's what I hear. Yeah, that's an instant like it, right? Oh, yeah, dude. You can hear that the first time you go, yeah, that's pretty good. I can hear that again. Morning Mikey show. Don't understand all the animosity between Ashley and B-Rob. Being mean to another person will eventually come back to you. Trust me, not to mention, it's just plain wrong. Enough with the mudslinging and the name calling. Cordially yours, Donald Trump. Well, I don't know if you should keep that one. Yeah, sorry.
Hey, guys, there's a difference between being passionate and being a hothead, and it really irritates me when you guys call B-Rob a hothead. He's not a hothead. Thank you. He just loves his teams. Give the guy a break. Just because he shows a little team spirit doesn't mean he's overreacting. Happy holidays, Coach Bobby Knight. A little support there for you. Keep that one. Keep that one. Keep that one. Here you go. All right, so there's a lot of stuff happening right now. For instance, the airports in the United States are missing fake bombs. In fact, when they did a study of LAX, they found that LAX missed about 75% of the fake bombs they put through. Shut up. That's awesome. Crazy. How? How? I don't know. Well, they said that what they did in this study was like tiny bomb parts.
Which to me, okay, shouldn't you still be looking for bomb parts? Why do you need bomb parts? Yeah, they say, let's see, increasing difficulty in finding it, requiring screeners to find bomb parts the size of a pen cap. The size of a pen cap. They said they moved from testing completely assembled bombs to the small component parts. But still, if they are... So they make me throw away my toothpaste. Yes. Right. But they don't find bombs. Bombs, yes. That's cool. Yeah, so like Mikey said, at the LA airport, they missed about 75%. Chicago missed about 60%. And San Francisco International did a bit better, only missing 20% of the bombs. That's bad. That is scary. So the latest on the... Little dog that got taken away from the little girl, the Ellen dog. Oh, Iggy. Iggy. Iggy. It's now being referred to as Iggygate. Iggygate. Iggygate. That's dumb. Here's the little girl that Ellen gave the dog to me. Oh, no. Cut one. Don't cry. I just want my dog back. I just want to tell the EGC and the people who have now adopted Iggy that...
to rethink the situation. Yeah, why don't you tell that to Ellen? She's the one that made the mistake, little girl. She ruined your life. She ruined your life. New little wrinkle in this that, again, throws it back to who's at fault. According to reports, the agency, what's it, Mutts and Moms? Mutts and Moms. Whatever. Had its license suspended in California since December of 06. So this means that any contractual agreement, with the agency would be void because they had their license suspended. Would they have their license suspended? He ruined my life! It doesn't say, no. This is all according to Access Hollywood. Last December had their license suspended in California. Oh, my. That's bad. Great. Well, it's a good opportunity. If you're Ellen, it's a good opportunity to say, hey, listen, let's, we'll all just kind of keep quiet about this, you know. Let's just all force. And she'll just give the dog back and we'll keep quiet about it. Well, I'm really proud of Britney Spears because she's finally recognizing that she's got a problem. She's been making a lot of wrong decisions and she's going to start to do things right. For instance, yesterday, she ran over a paparazzi's foot and then went and got lip injections. Oh. Well, actually, Mike, you have that a little backwards. No? Yeah, she got the lip injections and then on her way out, ran over the foot. Oh, man. Well, that changes everything. Yeah. So that's a totally...
difference that makes it okay maybe she doesn't have it together dude and it's funny because of course you know the paparazzi is all up in her business so as she's driving away she's driving with one hand and covering her lips with the other hand because she doesn't want anybody to see because obviously when you come out of getting lip injections you're like looking like crazy, you know, clown face people. And so, but at one point she did, you know, take her hand away and the paparazzi was able to snap a quick little pic and you see these monster lips on her face. And she runs over the dude's foot. Steven Tyler is going to be on the Today Show today because he's got this really kind of, now, if you don't know who Steven Tyler is, he's a lead singer at Aerosmith. And he's got this cool thing on National Geographic this weekend. The National Geographic channel. They're doing this show. What's it called, Sky? The Incredible Human Machine. They're going to follow Steven Tyler through throat surgery and getting his human machine going again. Getting it all fixed up. Which to me is fascinating what people's voice boxes are capable of. I would love to see a...
diagram of Ashley's voice box and then a diagram of Mariah Carey's voice box and see the differences between the two voice boxes. Why that comparison? Well, I just want to see how different they are. Oh, that is a gross voice box. You see what I'm saying? I know Skies is enlarged. What? It's not enlarged. I heard it's got an amplifier in it. Oh, I'm sure. I heard it was shaped like a megaphone. Oh, is that what you heard, Sean? Where did you hear that, Sean? I saw it in a cartoon. Vons. You heard it in Vons. So what must that voice box look like? It's garbage. It is garbage. It's garbage. Sean.
It must look very interesting. Stop it. Yeah, so Steven Tyler and his doctor will be on the Today Show this morning talking about and obviously trying to get some publicity for the National Geographic show, Incredible Human Machine, which airs Sunday night, this Sunday night, if you want to such TiVo. So he's already had the surgery and all that stuff? Yeah, yeah, it's all recorded and they describe... What was it? Like, what did he have wrong with him? It doesn't specifically... Nodules? It just says vocal cord surgery. Why didn't he just do lip trails? Mm-hmm. Hmm. Those do work really well. They work really well. It helped Ashley out. Yeah, it did. Ashley's voice is very similar. We got you. Thank you. That's not my tone. What is your tone? Like Gwen Stefani or Fergie. Lou Ferrigno. Ashley Pyramid is next. Ashley's going to try to describe some stuff to Skye. And Skye...
is going to try to figure out what she's saying. It's a game of a pyramid. Just like $25,000 pyramid, $100,000 pyramid, whatever it is. It's next. Musicians. The holidays are coming. Featuring Mikey. I am insecure about being short and fat and Mexican and bald. I am not a doctor.
But I will speak on this. Sky. Our mind on this stupid. Sean. Age somewhere. Bob. That's crazy. That's crazy. We're giving away a cheap wagon. And Ashley. I'll go through a roll of toilet paper in a day. The Mikey Show's on. We are. That was true. 053. I hate when she says, will you count me in? It's lame. There's an argument to be made that the entire song is lame. And if you're listening to this thing, the whole song is lame. I get it. I understand. I have a very feminine sensibility. This is music that I like that I don't like to admit that I like. It's good. I like pop music. I've liked pop music since I was a kid. I grew up on pop music. What are you doing, Ash? This is so distracting. It is 7.02. To try and conserve water, San Diego restaurants will no longer automatically serve water to their customers. The Buffalo Bills want to go north of the border, eh?
They want to play two of their games in Toronto. Ash, do I page up or down for the Ashley Pyramid stuff? Page down. Page down. There we go. I'm okay with that water thing in restaurants, by the way. Yeah. I mean, they'll still give you water, but you have to ask for it. So instead of sitting down and them automatically bringing you water, you actually have to request it now at restaurants in San Diego. No big whoop. Whatever. You want water, ask for water. Depending on where you are, the water's kind of gross anyway. You know where the water tastes real good? Where? Some people may disagree with this, but I remember that water, tap water, when we worked in Santee was real good. I don't know where they were getting it. It was a L or something, but it was good. Let's play a little Ashley Pyramid. What do you say? Ashley Pyramid's great. Here's the way it's played. Basically, we do it just like the real show Pyramid, only this time it's Ashley communicating with Sky. We've done it before where the listeners try to understand what Ashley's saying, but we found after playing it a couple of times that way, no one knew what she was talking about. I get it. That's right. Wow. And so what we do is we have Sky play for the listeners. P1 Dan? It's Ben. It's what? Ben. Benjamin. Ben. Ben. I think Rob may have a hearing problem.
It's getting there. For sure. I think he may have a hearing problem. I think I do, too. You should hear his headphones. It gets insane when I put them on sometimes. They're cranked. It's like, oh, my gosh. Yeah. So loud. I like everything loud. Everything. Since I was young. You know, music, whatever. It don't matter. Loud. Well, Ben. You have a hearing problem. That's how loud it is. It's true. What? Ben? Are you ready to let Sky give it a shot for you? Yes, I have faith in her. She can do it. Eddie, what can Ben win? We got tickets to see Chevelle next weekend. There you go, Ben. That sounds pretty good. Ashley will have 60 seconds to try to describe five different things to Sky. Headphones off and down. Headphones off and turned down. Cheaters. We have no reason to cheat. And, listeners, you will be able to hear what the clues are, but Ashley, or excuse me, Skye will not. It doesn't matter if Ashley does, I guess, because she's looking at them. She's got the list in front of her, what she has to describe. Remember to look at me, Ashley, to know when to proceed. Are you ready? Let's begin. Okay. Things associated with Anna Nicole Smith. Blunt hair, Danny Lee.
Howard K. Stern. Anna Nicole Smith. Maybe overdosing them. Yes, that is correct. Things a referee would say. Referee? Things referee would say. Yes, yes, yes. Types of dance. Lyrical. Different styles of dance. That is correct. Things you do to care for a sunburn. Okay, don't get mad at me, but pill paste. Things you use to treat a sunburn. That is correct. Things you do to make food spicier. Mexican food? Different kinds of Mexican food. Or salsa. Different kinds of hot sauce? Or you can put a sauce that's got chili in it. Hot sauces. Condiments. Mexican sauces. You can put... And Wilson movies. Wedding Crashers and... That is correct. Are we done? You got it. That was five in 60 seconds. Wow. Things you do to make food spicier.
Oh, okay. You won, P1 Ben. She got it done for you. That was really good. Hang on the line, will you? We're awesome. You did a really good job, that one. How was that referee whistle? That was great. P1 Jessie. Hey. How are you? Good, how are you? I'm good. Now, you heard how good Sky is at this. You have a very good chance of winning Chevelle tickets. And I believe we are ready to go. Ash, are you ready to go? All right, here we go. Things associated with ancient Greece. I think Rob wants to visit there. I don't know. Maybe architect and maybe like cement. Things in Greece? Things in Rome? Yes. Yes, yes, that's correct. Items you would put on a sundae. Oh, nuts and a cherry and preferably for me, chocolate sauce. That is correct. Things you bring camping. Okay, you need a flashlight, you need a tent, you need...
Sleeping bag. Things you've been camping. That is correct. Types of cold medicines. Different kinds of antibiotics. No. Different kinds of medicine. Different prescription medicine. NyQuil. DayQuil. Things you take for a cold. That is correct. Cities have nice beaches. Oh, like La Jolla or North County or Newport Beach. Wealthy beach towns. Newport? Half Hawaii. Cities with nice beaches. I don't know. Miami. What did you think it was? Hawaii. What did you think it was? I was just saying places where there's nice beaches. I thought it was San Diego cities with nice beaches. Then Maui. You know, Jesse, I'm in a very giving mood today. I'm going to allow you to win because Ashley didn't quite understand.
What we were going for there. She didn't quite understand it was cities with nice beaches. You shouldn't have to suffer for that. You win. Nice. Hang on the line. All right. If there is a P1 who is able to come into the studio today, you can. Because the person that had won the opportunity didn't show up. And. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. The ride's getting a little bit busier here as we move along. South from the 15, you're going to find a minor delay from Auto Parkway down the Via Rancho Parkway to Escondido.
A few break nights in the Carmel Mountain Ranch. But now we have a new accident here, partly in the fast lane. Southbound 15, just before Poway Road. So watch for a bit of a slowdown around that. We've also got Southbound 7 of the 5. That's got the busy backup now coming out of Lucadia all the way down into Solana Beach. Not too bad out of the East County. The westbound 52 has a minor slowdown toward the top of the summit there. On westbound 8, that's a good-looking ride for you. That's a clear ride all the way into Mission Valley right now. West 94 on that King Freeway. You won't see the brake pads to get right around the 15 connector. From there, it's a bit of a struggle into downtown. Pretty rough, though, out of the South Bay. Still, the 5 and the 805 northbound have the usual slowing, bunching up right around that South Bay freeway up through National City. 805 has scattered stuff from here into North Park, and the 5 freeway backing up from the bridge into the downtown S-curve, mainly from Lucky Lou slowing from an accident on the South 5 near the 163. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Check this out. It's got this email. Mikey. I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at sleep train.
Paris plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man. My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris plush. She really deserves a good mattress to sleep on, and I can't wait to sleep on it with her. Signed, P1 Norfus. You want that to be your story? Sleep trains are everywhere. Check one out today. In the studio, go see San Diego. This is the Mikey Morning Show, featuring... Mikey. Consider myself kind of an old man's mentality. Eddie. You are. Because I read medical journals doesn't make me. Nah, I love it. The doctor. Sky. I am not a wino bag lady. Sean. Yeah. That's ridiculous. Boston Rob. Boston Rob here with ya. And P1's listen up, man. And Ashley. Yes. The Mikey Show's on. Alright, we're all hilarious. Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show. It is 7-16. Yeah.
saying that she is exhausted. Yesterday, Ellen canceled taping of her show for the rest of the week. Josh Beckett strikes out 11 as Boston stays alive, beating Cleveland 7-1 yesterday. What is this? James Lipton was on with Conan O'Brien and said this, cut nine. Your first experience producing, let's talk about this, and it's in the book, so we may as well talk about it. True story, you arranged private sex shows in Paris. You talk about it in the book. Let's talk about it. What do you mean you arranged private sex shows? This was when I was very, very young, living in Paris, penniless, unable to get any kind of working permit in Paris, wanted to continue living there, had a friend who worked in what is called le milieu, which is that world, and she suggested to me one night, look, you'll be my mech. Mech is a French slang word short for macro.
And we would translate it, perhaps, here goes the rest of my life as pimp. So you were a French pimp? No, absolutely not. I was an American pimp living in France. Not guilty. Besides, a statute of limitations has run out several times. But the point is that there's a difference between a mech and a pimp, especially in those days. Nowadays... prostitution is unthinkable and horrible worldwide including in france but in those days it was quite a different matter those are the good old days of whoring it up back then it was more fun all right no oh that's crazy that is crazy uh this is a an interesting piece from slash talking about the breakup of guns and roses cut 24. basically it ran its course and when it was really great it was probably one of the greatest bands ever but something was
Axl was very insecure, and although he was wanting to do things, I never to this day really understand exactly what he was getting at. And because it took so long to ever get anything done, I always attribute it to some sort of fear. Yeah, probably. He's probably right. Bands. I don't know where I am with this new show, The Next Great American Band. Yeah. It's like American Idol, only bands, like rock bands, any kind of band. Like, they just take bands. And what's so strange is that in the previews, they're like out on a lake. Yeah. That's weird. I know. Does anyone get it? I don't get it at all, and I'm really kind of turned off that they put it on on a Friday night, which is basically the dead zone of TV. To me, that makes me think, well, they'd have no confidence in this, or it shows just really bad. Yeah, maybe executives looked at it, thought it would be a primetime good... From the makers of American Idol. Yeah, the producers. But then maybe they looked at it and went...
Oh, no. This is terrible. We've got to bury this. Bury it, yeah. The judges are Johnny Resnick from the Goo Goo Dolls, the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls, and Sheila E. Yeah, and then some Australian TV personalities. Who I'm sure is the jerk. The Simon. Yeah. You have to have a person with an accent being mean. Yeah. Right. So, that's the formula. Then you've got to have a girl. Yeah, you... Oh, do they have a... Oh, yeah. Sheila E. And she'll be the sweet, nice girl. Right. Johnny Resnick, the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls. Yeah, no one will care. The irrelevant guy. Cut 25. I think it's a little more difficult because you have to judge the chemistry between the players and the artists. They have to be judged as a whole. It's a group of people that you're trying to find that cohesion between them and that intimacy between them and that X factor that makes a band great. I met Johnny Resnick when I was doing Nights for Rock 105. At the time, it was Rock 102. And he came into the studio. And he brought his girlfriend with him. And they are from Buffalo. And he dated her in high school. And they'd been dating this whole time in high school. And I thought that was really cool. And he's now dumped her. I was like, that's such a sweet story.
Very popular now, the Goo Goo Dolls. They've risen to a great deal of success and apparently he decided. Didn't you and I go to the open air theater at San Diego State and you introduced them or interviewed the Goo Goo Dolls backstage and then we ended up having beers with them at that bar right there on State's campus. Do you remember that? I do not, but I would bet you... Anything, I'm sure that happened. Yeah, I think we did. And they were really cool guys. Yeah. And then they got popular. Yeah. I like the Goo Goo Dolls. I think they're pretty good. Oh, yeah. I do, too. But anyway, so that was. I just think it's funny. The Goo Goo Dolls were at one time rock. Right. They were on rock. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They were. The only thing that I wish is that they would give up on the chubby guy in the band having to sing a song or two on each album. Oh. really how do you know that yeah do you know this guy knows i think yeah i'd heard that like that lead singer johnny resnick he's got a pretty decent voice he gets it but him and the chubby guy were like best friends since grade school and so they're real close and they started the band together and apparently when they started the band together he would sing every once in a while on a couple of songs now they're great big giant stars and they still think that that is you know hey listen i've got something to say here too
And I'm telling you, those tracks are brutal. Sky's birthday is Monday. And we do not have... Sky, now I'm going to tell you. We do not have anything planned for your birthday. And I'm being completely serious about that. However, we do have a surprise for you right now on the Mikey Show. And the surprise is on the phone with us now. On the phone with us is Taylor Kitsch. who plays Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights. Taylor, are you there? How are you doing? I want to wish Skye a big, happy 3-0. That's a big one. We should have got the video camera. How did we not get the video camera? You've got to see Skye right now. She's flipping out. Dude, if you only knew how much she loves you, bro.
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, yeah. Take a picture. Her face immediately went red. Look at her face. I'm sweating. Her face is bright. I'm a 30-year-old woman, and I'm sweating. Her face is bright red right now. She's sweating. Why didn't we think the video taped this? Look at her. I've never seen her like this. She's flipping out. She's freaky. She's flipping out. Now, Taylor plays Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights. Now, if you've never seen the show. Oh, my gosh. If you've never seen the show, which I love the show. Oh, my gosh. The best show on TV. Tim Riggins plays the bad boy. He plays like the drinking bad boy. Yeah, he does. And Skye, she tells us so much off the air. How she feels. She says, let me tell you, Taylor. She says that she feels like Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC is going to walk in on her when she watches that show. Because you're a high school student. No kidding. You're a high school student. Yeah, I was saying that to Kyle Chandler when we had him on the show the other day. I'm like, I feel like a friggin' pedophile when I watch this show. Please tell me that Riggins in real life isn't a minor because I feel real creepy. Taylor, how old are you? I am 26. Oh, that's not bad. I'm cool. Everything's cool. That's not bad at all. Is your character 17 or 18? 17. He's never had a birthday.
So I think you'll be 17 for a while. I think so. You know, I was thinking about that element of the show. How, you know, the show is a great show, man. It really is a great show. And if the show continues on for 10 years, what do they do? I've got to take my sweater off. It's getting hot here. Oh, my God. Skye's taking her sweater off. It really did get her worked up. Okay. Everything's cool. Everything's cool, people. Everything's cool. Skye, why don't we do this? You know the show, and I know that you didn't know this was going to happen, but I'm sure you have some kind of questions off the top of your head. What do you got, Skye? Well, okay, so I got creepy questions. Oh, no. You're a married woman. You're a married woman, Skye. Why did you need to bring that up? Can I ask you a question? Yeah. When he said that you were married right now, were you kind of in your mind like, I'm pissed. Go, you know, ruin it. But whatever. Okay, so Taylor, girlfriend, no girlfriend, what are we talking?
You're a loner. You're single? No, I'm on my own. I'm single. Really? Oh, look at that. Oh, my God. The wheels are sitting. But it feels so good. Okay. So do you live in L.A.? I bought a condo here in Austin because we're shooting here, right? So it's instead of the year. And then where are the other couple months spent? Okay. What's your address? I was looking out to do a movie in a hiatus, so I lived in South Carolina, and then I'll try and go back to Vancouver, where I'm from, as much as I can. Are you sticking with condoms? That was crazy. Are you trying to get into movies, or what's going on with your career? Yeah, I mean, we did, I've done a few, and then we're going to, we just did one in the hiatus, which will be a really powerful flick. It has, it's about civil rights, and Samuel L. Jackson, Julia Stiles, Angela Bassett, Danny Glover, Jean-Claude Esposito. It's got a really strong cast. This guy's like, what about pornography? Do you take your shirt off in the movie? Oh, I've seen some.
modeling pictures with the shirt off. She Googles images of Taylor Kidd. She's had dreams about him. It's true. Taylor. We've never said that on the air, by the way. You're such a dick. You're such a dick right now, Eddie. She's coming and she's told us off the air that she has had dreams about Tim Riggins. It's a very passionate show. Very emotional show. You know, sometimes it gets into your psyche before going to bed. I want to wrestle you so freaking bad. Thank you, Chris Hansen. Thank you, Chris Hansen. Okay, so another shin that's not so creepy. We know that Minka Kelly, who plays Lila Garrity, is dating John Mayer in real life. Have you met him? Does he ever come by the set or any of that? No, I haven't met him. Oh. You know, he's doing stand-up comedy, too, I heard. For real. Who is? John Mayer. John Mayer. He stops into clubs in New York City and they let him do stand-up. But he is dating Lila Garrity? In real life, yeah. Taylor, I have a question for you. How could you possibly sleep with your best friend's girlfriend? I mean, that's just a terrible thing to do. It was a tough time. Very emotional for everyone. It was, yeah. Tragedy brings a lot of things and a lot of people together. It's going to happen again. Dude, that sexual tension last week. I don't care what's going on. She's all in on you. And I don't blame her. Okay.
I'm just saying. These are my feelings. Taylor, I got a question. I might want to cut you a little. All right. Weird. It got weird. We're talking to Taylor Kitsch. He plays Tim Riggins on Friday Night Live. Is the HC on in here? Her face is flushed. So, Taylor, question. Oh, my gosh. I got a question for you. So when we talked to, who was the guy that we talked to that plays? Kyle Chandler. Kyle Chandler. When we talked to Kyle Chandler, he says that you are extremely funny on the set and that you get him going, you get him laughing. Can you tell us any stories about that kind of stuff? Oh, man. We've been working a lot together. Just yesterday, there's, Riggins ends up kind of homeless and he's living out, or sleeping. Which is so hot to Skye, by the way. Oh, dude. The greasier, the better. That's true. Skye wanted to be that older woman that you were hooking up with. Oh, dude, the neighbor? What up? So anyway, so what were you doing? No, Riggs is sleeping, and we just pulled so many little pranks, and it's who's going to break first half the time.
If we get the scene under our belt right away in the first few takes, we'll just play around a lot. We'll see who breaks. The lights are off. You can't see Riggs yet. He turns the lights on, and I'm seeing away from him sleeping on my side with my pants down. That's pretty funny. He says that, you guys, that there's some practical jokes going on. He's my best friend. That's cool. So you guys end up hanging out a lot. And where do you film the show? So everything's on location. There's no sets, no studios, so it's fun. That's very cool. Well, Sky has dreams of wearing your jersey, your Letterman jacket, and... She wants you to pin her. Yes, she wants you to... Hello. Hello. So freaking bad. Hey, listen.
Taylor, we appreciate, you know, this was not, he is not doing any kinds of like radio tours right now or anything like that. He did this especially for us to wish Skye a happy birthday. So we really do appreciate it. Thank you. I'll remember this forever, Taylor. That was way cool. Thank you. Have a great weekend. All right. We'll talk to you soon, Taylor. Thank you. Thanks, guys. We'll see you. Oh, my gosh. Friday Night Lights airs tonight on NBC at 9 o'clock. So, Sky, question, Sky. Question, Sky. Oh, my gosh. Question, Sky. Oh, my gosh. Will this make the show even cooler for you now that you've talked to him? Like, every time you see him on TV. Like, I don't even know, like, how I'm going to watch the show tonight. I don't. There's going to be thoughts going to go into it because my husband's going to be sitting right there. And I'm going to want to pause. I'm going to want to rewind. She's going to say it to the hub. She's going to say it to the husband. She's going to be like, it was such a joke. We were just kidding. Whatever. I was just saying that. 26. Perfect. Oh, yeah. We'll be back. This guy's birthday's Monday. I didn't hear what you were saying.
I live on all emotion, baby. Mikey's show continues on The Rock. The producers of American Idol present an extraordinary new music competition. Today's the day we've been waiting five years for. Southbound 15, a little slower from Auto Parkway to Felicita. Tougher still, though, out of Rancho Bernardo all the way down to the 56 here in Poway. There was an earlier accident just before that 56 transition. It caused most of that mess. Your coaster rides up on five states heavy out of Lucadia now all the way down to the racetrack in Del Mar. Westbound 52 coming out of Santee, a little tight here from right around the 125 all the way up to the top of the summit. Westbound on the 8th freeway, that's a little slow as well from Jackson Drive in towards Lake Murray to La Mesa now. On the King Freeway, West 94, that's backed up from Euclid now. Pretty solid all the way to downtown.
Rougher still, though, on both the freeways out of the South Bay. Both the 5, 805 northbound. Pretty heavy out of Chula Vista up through National City. 805 stays off and on slow into North Park. The 5 freeway backing up approaching the 15. That stays heavy all the way through the downtown S-curve. I'm McLaurin on Rock, 105.3. Hey, check this out. Got this email. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I really wanted the Beautyrest World Class Paris Plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah. Two days ago? Two days ago.
And 150 horsepower. That is going to be zero. So the total is now... $199 a month. All right. I'll trust you. I'm no math whiz. Stop by and take advantage of the $199 Jetta Wolfsburg plus other 2007 model year-end deals and find out for yourself why. When you get into a Volkswagen, it gets into you. I don't like going anywhere near the ocean. Scrap. I'm sorry. I'm trying to tell you this person on the phone. I love popular stuff like Mariah Carey, Hollabacker. And Ashley. It's like I have to BYOTP wherever I go. Come on. Welcome back to the show. It is 7.38. San Francisco is taking the first steps towards opening the nation's only government-sponsored injection room, which is a safe place for addicts to shoot up. Because Crazy college football season continues as the number two ranked South Florida was upset last night by Rutgers 30 to 27. He just listened to about five minutes of Sky talking about Riggins nonstop. So excited for the show tonight. On Fridays, we have a listener come into the studio and hang out with us. And Rob took one. There was a girl who was going to come in. And then she just called him right now and flaked. So...
We have the spot available again. You must call because he's going to scream before somebody comes in. Yeah. And be a real P1. I just had some chick call in with a radio op telling me she's been listening for three years. And all I did was ask her the rules of being a P1. She said, oh, I forgot. And then she came clean and said, oh, actually, it's my husband. Oh, boy. So I was like, come on. Like, give me a break, lady. Don't lie to me. Same thing with you fellas, man. If you're going to call in, just be a P1. Make sure that you know about the show because he's going to quiz you on it. But if you're available to come in today, we'll let you into the studio. And you're going to love it because we've got San Diego's own Geno's Barbecue back in again today. They are phenomenal, man. Oh, my God. It's the best day ever. Geno's is really good. And they have a mobile on-site barbecue catering company. And they do cater. And so if you want to get a hold of them,
And have this amazingly delicious food that we're having this morning. Here's the phone number. 619-889-2102. 619-889-2102. Or you can go to caterdiego.com. And I want to say hi to Gino's son, P1 Travis. Big fan of the show. What's up, Travis? What up? What up? What up? What up? That's a pretty good song, huh? That Alter Bridge stuff. That's New Alter Bridge. It's called Rise Today. I want to get people involved in the Mikey Show P1 Text Army. And I told you about it a couple of days ago. What you need to remember about the Mikey Show P1 Text Army is I've worked extremely hard to not make this any kind of pain for you. I made sure that if we were going to do this, you were not going to get any advertising on this.
I made sure that we're not giving your phone number to anybody. The only people that will have your phone number is me. That's it. And it's a way for us to keep in contact with you. Maybe you're asking yourself, well, what's in it for you? Why are you doing it if you're not going to sell me something? I'll tell you, it's very simple. We're going to send you stuff that's cool that's happening on the air. We're just going to communicate with you. Hopefully you dig it and you turn people onto it. Hopefully you create a network of people. And this becomes, the Mikey show becomes viral. You start to turn other people onto it. So if you want to be a part of the P1 text army, all you have to do is text the word Mikey to 35253. 35253. 35253. It's very simple. 35253. Text the word Mikey to that and we'll get you dialed in. Cricket customers, just hang out. We're getting there. But I want this thing on. So we're getting there. You're going to have it too. But everybody, just remember Mikey to 35253. By the way, when we first launched this, I think it was Tuesday.
I think we launched it on Tuesday. And I believe that, well, I know, Rob gave me the wrong number. And so when I did it, it was messed up. Now, I was thinking about it, and I thought to myself, I bet that there were a lot of people that did it, and because he gave the wrong number, people were like, whatever, man, I'm not going to do that. They were frustrated. They were frustrated, and they were like, I got better things to do with my morning than to try this again, blah, blah, blah. I would like to speak directly to you folks. Don't not join it because my phone screener can't get me the right number. Don't let Rob ruin all your fun. Yes. I don't. That is another way of saying it. Actually, you do. No, I don't. Those of you that got frustrated and said, I'm not going to do it, I want you back. I want you back. The correct number is 35253. 35253. 35253. Just text the word Mikey to that and I can text you all kinds of stuff telling you what's going on on the show and let you know what's happening when cool stuff happens and when there's something really big that I want to tell you or whatever. In fact, we took pictures of Sky when Riggins called in. So maybe we should get those. Those pictures are great. I wish we had a video. Can we listen back to that interview? I'd like to listen back.
That was kind of a cool moment. So I'd love to tell listeners to be able to check that out. Hey, Sean, you having any luck with that music? I'm trying to find it desperately right now. That music is so cool. I just want to hear it. But anyway, we're going to get the music to Friday Night Lights because we talk about it enough. How are you feeling? I'm finally starting to calm down. My body was so overheated. I don't get hot and sweat often. I actually have to go out and jog to break a sweat. I was sweating. You know what that makes me think? What? It makes me think, like, if you were actually a single woman and it happened to where you went on a date with this guy, you'd be miserable. You'd be sweating. You'd be like, how do women go on dates with, or you know what I mean? Like, how could you actually pull it off without being a wreck? Well, I would sweat at the planning of the date.
But then I would just have, like, butterflies during the day. You know what I mean? Like, I would get the... Because that was our first encounter together right there, you know? And so... Encounter? So, obviously... What the hell? When he asked me out, that's when I would be like sweating, you know. But then once we actually, you know. Went out on the date. Yeah. Like I may have to have a glass of wine before going out on the date. Wow. Just to like. Make one of those maybe little mini fans just in case. Yeah. As you're getting ready. Yeah. Just to chill out. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like blow drying my hair while I'm getting ready for the date would be horrible. So you couldn't do it with your shirt on. No. Oh, no. I'd have to like do it in my bra. You'd turn out like Ashley. Oh. Wait. Wait. So unnecessary. You know what I mean. Is that what happens, Skye? Chicks get nervous when they're getting ready for a date. They get nervous. They got to do the hair with a bra on and that's it. Otherwise, they sweat. Yeah, like summertime or when I'm like nervous or something. Yeah, I don't get dressed till the very last stage because you don't want to like sweat up your clothes. It's really not that big a deal.
Doesn't affect your personal life. Well, but it does. Well, I mean, I don't want to show up and have friggin' see me with these big old, like, circles. I think Ashley's deal with that is, hey, listen, he's gonna have to love you sweat and all. It's an aphrodisiac. Is it? It is not an aphrodisiac. Pheromones. Stop! Today is an awesome day. You guys want to hear, uh, Ashley and Boston Rob's song. Here's something interesting. I thought they made up with the song, but then they're already fighting again today. What happened? Here's the deal. Maybe they need to hear it again? I'm going to be really frank here. I don't think I'm...
Speaking out of school, when I say that Ashley, she does relish when other people do something wrong. She relishes it. You're 100% correct. She enjoys it. And he made a mistake this morning. And she really does... He's made two. Where's Rob? What did he do besides not record Sean's end of the audio? Well, the whole email should... Ashley, he didn't screw that up. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Hang on a second. Rob, take a breath. Take a breath. I let it go. I didn't even get mad. Hang on. I didn't comment on it. I didn't comment on it. I'll comment on it now. Ashley, you didn't explain yourself correctly. Like, he did exactly what a hundred people out of a hundred people would have done, no doubt. No doubt. I said to, Rob checks my emails because I can't stay on top of it. Literally hundreds and hundreds. Probably now it's up past the 900 mark. Go ahead, Rob. Well, I've been telling you to get them down. But it was getting over into the thousands of years. You get a couple hundred by the end of the show. A couple hundred. So here's the deal. So, Rob, I tell him, check those emails. Bring me funny ones.
If people are asking for something like prayer or something like that, keep that stuff. Put it to the side. I want to see that stuff. Other stuff, I allow him to be able to answer questions that people are asking. He's an email guy. I don't go to the email. I am editing the Best of the Mikey Show CD right now. I wanted to hear a particular cut that we had and how it was edited. I said to Ashley, send it to me. knows to email everything to my AOL email address. But that stupid AOL doesn't allow files that are too big. So it bounced back to her. So what she said was that she was going to send it to my work email address, which will allow it. And Ashley, what did you write on the work email? And you knew that I wasn't going to see it. You knew that it was going to be Rob that saw it, right? I wrote Ashley, in the subject line, I wrote Ashley and Sky Fight and Dr. Phil Racist MP3 and then in capitals for Mikey. Am I looking at it right now? Yeah, you are. Okay, let me see. Yes, Ashley and Sky Fight and Dr. Phil Racist MP3 for Mikey. And then it says, so I also included Dr. Phil just in case you want to hear that too. Okay, so where is the instruction? Yeah.
Where is the instruction for Rob? You said in the other studio that you said give to Mikey or forward on to Mikey, which I did. Regardless of what you put in there, I did. Rob doesn't know that my inbox on AOL can't get that. Rob doesn't know any of that information. And what I did do is... Hang on, Rob. It's up to you to tell him. It's up to you to tell him. And you didn't. And so we're in the studio and Ashley's giving him this thing. She's ready to attack. Yes. And Rob is very patiently but kind of scared going... I don't know. I know how stupid I am. Maybe that slipped my mind. I didn't write it on my hand. It's totally fine. I wrote for Mikey to listen to in the inbox for you to know. That's for Mikey to listen to. It just says for Mikey though. Why does it say that? It says that right in between the two files. For Mikey to listen to. I'm looking at the email. So am I. I don't see anything that says that.
I'm looking at it right now. He's got it up on the screen. I don't see that anywhere. It just says Ashley and Sky Fight. So I thought I made it perfectly clear. Yeah, yeah, yeah. At the very end of it, it says for Mikey. No, in the inbox. For Mikey to listen to. I swear to God. Yeah, I'm looking at it too, Ashley. It doesn't say. So coming from my perspective, I thought I made it very clear that I wanted you to listen to those. And you said for Mikey to listen to. It says in between the two files for Mikey to listen to. Okay, now check this out. Now, check this out. If I'm Rob, first of all, I'm looking at it, and it doesn't say that on this one, but it's clear it did say it on yours. If I'm Rob and I get that, you know what that means to me? Oh, I better send this to Mikey. I understand the miscommunication. Then why a second ago did you go, he messed up twice? Because when he was like... Hey, I want to let you know I forwarded it to Mikey and the file was too large. And I wrote back and I'm like, yeah, I know. That's why I gave it to the other account, to have him listen to it from that account. And he didn't understand. Of course. I wouldn't either. Because there's no more instruction. I wouldn't understand either. If you said, hey, open this up and have Mikey listen to it, I would have got that. Not only that, but if Rob had all the information that you and I have, you'd get it.
You're both right. That's fine. I mean, I thought that I made it clear. But that is certainly not like Rob screwing up. The other one is. The other one Rob screwed up. He forgot to press this button that allows us to be able to tape record Sean. Because we get Sean via satellite every day. Some people don't know that. Sean's up in the Bay Area. What? And so when she realizes that he made the mistake. Lights out. Well, you know, right? Lights out. So I try to jump in immediately and I'm like, it's okay. It's okay. It's like she does the Sean Merriman dance. Yes. As soon as she finds out somebody screwed up. Yes. She loves it. And I'm like, Ash, it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. And she's like, okay, I'm just saying that all that stuff that he played on the air right now didn't get recorded. And I go, I know, I know. And she goes, oh, like all that Chris Hansen stuff that he played, not going to get recorded. I know. It's okay. It's okay. Because I don't want her to attack him. She thoroughly enjoys getting kicks out of other people screwing up. Particularly you. Yeah, definitely. I'm the only person on this show who enjoys it when other people mess up. We're talking off the air. Seth's over there like...
Hello? Yeah. Did you see Zeth's face? Look at his face. He's like, no, Eddie, please don't say that. No, Eddie. He's like, I'm invisible. I'm invisible. I didn't. No, Eddie, please. He's like, what? You only get mad at Rob? What? I looked at Zeth when Eddie said that out loud, and Zeth winced. He physically winced. Like, no, dude. No. He took a bite of balut. Turn the mic back off. I don't want to talk. Well, this is leading up into the troubles that have been going on between B-Rob and Ashley. By the way, phone lines blowing up since we've started talking about this. Love to hear what P1s have to say. So Ashley and Rob went into the studio and recorded a song that we thought had brought peace and love. Into the bridge. I totally thought it had. But you can see it's very clear. They're still fighting. They need to listen to the lyrics. Let's have them listen to it. Ash, you need to pay close attention to the love going on in this song. Don't you check out. I can see. Don't you check out. Having a work with a dumbbell. Wanna crack a joke but I can't tell. On her meds or is she psycho? Have I seen a human so sweaty? If it keeps up like
this we better build an ark you hear him like almost laughing while he sings that let's not fight today see that's nice and please don't cry today at you it's too funny well that wasn't really that nice stuff with p rob ain't going everyone knows that shouldn't you're short and truth is it's not the sharpest knife in the drawer That part is true. Did I feel better? It was checked out. She feels like it was unfair. It was so fair. You know, I was fair about it. So cool this morning. Oh, no. I was so cool. And I just dropped it. I dropped it. He didn't do anything wrong. No, the second time. And I was like, Rob, you didn't push the button. No, no, no. And you're like, no, no, no. And you're like, don't get mad. It's fine. And I dropped it. No, you made sure you told me.
multiple things that he did wrong within the break. Oh, yeah, it's important. Like, I got it the first time. It's important that you know the mistake that happens. But you handled it. You mediated it. And I didn't even get mad at all. No, I got it. Remember when I said, no, it's okay. And you kept telling me more things that he had done wrong. And I was like, I know, it's cool. I wasn't even mad or being mean or anything. Before you get upset, realize, I didn't say anything on the air that didn't happen. Nothing. So this is one of those deals where I can tell you're like irritated checking out. Dude, that's what went down. And I support you 98.8% of the time. 0.7 now. 0.8? 0.7. I do. Oh, you do. Dude, do I have Ashley's back or do I have Ashley's back? Very much so. Please, man. Oh, you totally do. When something goes down, I'm going to tell it like it is. I don't expect you not to. Please. Well, then don't be mad.
Like, you're irritated. I can tell. I can tell you're irritated. Oh, well, now I'm going to get a mouthful later. And that's why I'm irritated. He's going to pay for it? Yeah, later, dude. How are you going to pay for it? I'm not going to do anything. How are you going to pay for it? I've got to turn her mic off. Don't look at her. I don't care because, you know what? I'm not. I'm not going to hear it. I messed up. When I screw up, I admit things. Do you see what's going on here? Oh, wow. After the show or at the commercial break. Do you understand you're letting the terrorists win? Like, if you give them their ransom, they're going to keep doing the terrorist acts. Come on, New York City. Fight back. He did mess up, and he's admitting it. How's that giving in to the terrorists? Because it's okay. Like, it's okay. Yeah, it's okay, but he did mess up. Yeah, but what he's saying is that, you know, even after all this, she's still going to go after him later and have a talking show. Absolutely. Maybe she won't. She's going to get mad at him because I said this stuff on the air. No, I'm not. Well, that's happened in the past. That has happened in the past. We have to admit that. No, it happens every time in the past.
Well, this time's going to be different, Rob. I would like to think so. Good thing we played Ashley Pyramid earlier. Oh, no. She is done. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We won't see her the rest of the show. I know. Listen, there are a lot of people that really enjoy the character Joey on Friends, you know? Love him. And they really love to tune into Friends when it used to be on TV and they'd be like, oh, I love Joey. He's like one of my favorite characters. And And imagine that about 10 minutes into the show, friends, Joey's like, all right, guys, I'll see you later. I'll get her back. Come on, Ashley. You're watching the show. You're like, Joey, don't. We love you, Joey. Joey. Please. Come on. You're the best, Joey. She's officially checked out. It's very hard to get. It's very hard to get Ashley back when she checks out. No. It's very difficult to get her back. Come on, Ashley. You tell me. How do we get her back? I know she loves to play Dump Chick Challenge. Oh, Eddie. You know she does not like that. How dare you, Eddie? You know she does not like that. Why are you kicking a girl when she's dead? I'm trying to help. Why don't we play music, she likes? There you go, Ash. You feeling better? Slow. Oh, no. Damn it. The tears are coming. You guys, I knew it was going to happen. That sucks. Eddie, it's not funny. Stop laughing. That's our friend. That is messed up, you guys. Don't laugh, dude.
But it's the face. It's the face. I know. Don't laugh at her crumb face. That face is kind of funny. It's not cool. It's not. It's okay, Ash. Go ahead. Get it. Work it out. Work it out. Go ahead. You can say it. Say it on the air. Listen to the music. I know, but she's crying. You can't see it. Now, for new listeners to the show, listen, for new listeners to the show, once or twice a week, Ash will kind of get upset. To the point where we now have a song now. It's called Ashley's Theme. Oh, my God. But it's good for us as a family to work it out. Can we just go to break? No, what you do is, no, here's what you do. You work it out, and during the break, we'll work it out. We'll have a group hug. We'll have her come in. No, I don't even want to. No, no, no. You'll come in here. No, we'll figure it out. No, because I'm so over this. All right. You guys get a lot of calls every morning that people will pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean stuff. Every one of you are great. Thank you, man. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back to the show. It's 8-0-9. Amy Winehouse was arrested in Norway for drug possession. The Yankees decided to offer Joe Torre a nice pay cut, which he turned down and no longer will be the manager of the Yankees. Play-by-play man for the Chargers in the studio, Josh Lewin. Hey! Guten morning. It's pretty awesome to have you here because you're perfect. performing tonight. You know, what's so funny is there's going to be about 200, 250 people in this room, probably. House of Blues, all P1s are invited. It's a $10 cover. It's going to be a great show tonight. A lot of Chargers there, a lot of Padres there. But I tell you what, I know that I talk to more than 200 to 250 people doing Charger games. I'm not nervous about that. You know what I'm saying? It's probably like you. I mean, you're talking to thousands and thousands of P1s this morning. But if you've got to get up in a room of
200 people at a wedding, for example, and make a toast, and now everybody's just looking at you? I got the keyboard butterflies right now for this little rock and roll show tonight. Well, it's a pretty nice venue you're playing tonight. It's a great venue. Now, Jimmy Eat World has the big stage tonight. We got nosed out by Jimmy Eat World. Oh, really? Yeah, so we're not going to play the middle. Where are you going to be? We're on the Fifth Street side. I mean, unless you've got tickets to Jimmy Eat World, don't go in on the Sixth Street side. Come over to the Fifth Street side by the construction over there. And we're on that smaller stage. Independent George is the name of the band. They're literally touching down from Dallas like now. Really? They're flying in this morning. Band wives are coming too. What about gear? So don't grab the lead singer's crotch. Unless, you know, because we have like a Faith Hill type that's going to go off on you. Now, what's going on? They fly in all their gear with them? Some of it. It's called backlining. They basically pick up spare parts.
We're not traveling a drum set, for example. But the guys are bringing their guitars. I got my keyboards here. And it's going to be a good time. We're going to play some... What are we playing? We're playing some Jets, some Nickelback, some Finger Eleven. A lot of older stuff. I mean, ACDC and Metallica and that kind of stuff. The music's good. The music's good. But, I mean, it's kind of a charger... I don't want to call it a pep rally. That sounds very collegiate. But it's just kind of like, hey, it's a bye week. Let's still remember that we've got a football team here. We'll get some guys up on stage. And it'll be a good time. We've got tons of giveaways, Mikey. We've got tickets. We've got all kinds of autographs, swag. Good stuff. I mean, good giveaway stuff. You just walk up to House of Blues box office, buy a ticket, you're in. Yeah, I mean, basically just go to the door. It's a cover charge is all it is. Just $10 cover charge, and we're taking the first $200 until the fire marshal says no more. We're just letting people in to come and rock and roll. What time do you go on stage? Show starts at 9. We want to try to get out of there about midnight. And I don't know. We'll see if there's an after party somewhere. I got to learn Ashley's theme now. I got it. I want to play it. I have it right here. Ashley wants to hear it, too. I would love to perform a soulful rendition. Oh, no. Come on, guys. We're moving on. I could play that. Give me like an hour to learn it, Mikey, and I'll break that up tonight. Could you actually play this? Yeah, but I need to take it with. I need to, like, rehearse it a little bit. This part is real serious right here. I am.
all minor keys it's very uh kind of a downer which is which is uh it's interesting because ashley was an english minor very much you didn't just say that it just comes out i'm sorry don't mind me i'm just responding to another email from a p1 saying i should drink again because i'm a bitch now that i'm sober so explain myself to him like i do everybody else ashley don't let him get you down girl right now. Just work it out. You don't need to be with me. Work it out. You know what I mean? Step three. Done step three. I don't even know what it is. I'm sorry. I'm on step four. It's me. It's me. It's me. This is a haunting melody. It really is. It really is. We're going to get rid of the Buckcherry stuff and play this. I think you'll really bring the house down. Yeah. I do too. Imagine the mosh pit to Ashley. Yeah, it'd be great.
That will forever be known as Ashley's theme. Nine o'clock tonight, House of Blues. Nine o'clock tonight, House of Blues. All P1s invited. If you want to mix and mingle with some Padres and Chargers types. And, you know, hopefully hear some good music, too. And definitely some major swag to be given away, too. Awesome! So hopefully you guys can come down. A friend of ours, a mutual friend of ours, that we know here in San Diego, getting married tomorrow, and you're going to do that, too, right? Yeah, we're kind of, gosh, how can I put this politely? We're piggybacking that a little bit. I think this mutual friend of ours getting married saw an opportunity with the band already in town to use this band as, I don't want to call it slave labor, but I mean. No, you can, though. That's what it is. Yeah, no, it's Fender Meals. It'll work out for everybody. There you go. So, well, listen, Josh, thank you for stopping by. Mikey, thank you for letting me inhale your barbecue, which is outstanding. Pretty good stuff, right? So good. And I'm in your army, by the way. I just texted the 35253 thing. Yeah, people got to do this. Get into the P1 text army. Just text the word Mikey to 35253. When we break out 8-6-7-5-3-0-9 tonight, we're going to lose those last five digits. Yeah. And we'll do 8-6-3-5-2-5-3. There you go. I like it. It works. So, yeah, people text stuff like that. Then we can text you back and let you know what's going on in the Mikey show. Like, hey. Like tonight.
Tonight, why don't you send a text message out to everybody? 9 p.m. House of Blues Charger Party. Josh Lewin plays Ashley's theme on the keyboard. There you go. Text that to everybody. And then I want to do a separate text, too. I want to do a separate text, too, where we text people, I want to podcast Ashley's Breakdown. Because that was kind of a moment. When moments happen on the show, you've got to capture them. Let people know. Rob, go ahead. I got a quick question for Josh. Is it 21 Up tonight or is it all ages? You know what? That's a great question. It might be 21 Up, Rob. I didn't find that out. It probably is. Because I know there will be alcohol. They are doing a special this weekend. And is it Sunday, Sky? Yeah, Sunday on the National Geographic channel. And it's, what is it called? The Incredible Human Machine is the name of the show Sunday night. Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith, is going to be on this particular episode. And Skye says that she thinks it's like a series and the Sunday episode is about Steven Tyler. And so anyway, Steven Tyler was supposed to be on the Today Show this morning talking about what he's going to be doing. And so I wanted to play a little bit of it because it looked kind of fascinating to me.
You've probably never seen it before. With stunning high-definition footage, radical scientific advances, and powerful first-hand accounts, a new National Geographic special plunges deep into the marbles of the human body and explores striking feats of medical advancement, including real-time measurements of Aerosmith lead singer Stephen Tyler's vocal cords after recovering from laser surgery. Stephen is here this morning with his surgeon, Dr. Stephen Zytels. Guys, good morning to both of you. Good to see you. Good morning. How did you get involved in this? Well, I was going through... Oh, man, it looks like the tomb just opened up. He needs to go back into surgery. Oh, my. Steven's older now. He's older now. Whoa. A little bit. Yeah. I tore for about six months, and I had this schmutz in my lung, and I couldn't... He had a little schmutz in there. What? You know, when I go to Einstein Brothers, I like an everything bagel with a little schmutz. With a healthy dose of schmutz. Onion schmutz on the top. I forgot what it was. And I wound up in, actually, the infectious disease clinic... in Mass General. You lose your voice completely? No, there was something in my lungs I couldn't figure it out. They wound up, I wound up going up to see this gentleman, Dr. Steven Zytels, who said, how do you sleep at night? I said, on my back. He goes, well, it's probably dripping down and going into your lungs and you have something wrong here. I said, this is my guy. How common is the condition he was... Something wrong and he pointed to his sinuses, meaning there's something wrong in his sinuses. Well, I think it's not too uncommon to have those kinds of symptoms, especially if you're changing environments, but
Liv Tyler came from him. That's impossible. It's the truth, though. That guy's from the Planet of the Apes. No, you guys, it's true. How can that be? It's impossible. What it led to is problems when he was on stage, which led to the vocal cord hemorrhage. Listen, you didn't just say to a vocal... Vocal cord hemorrhage? What is that? You start sleeping on your stomach. You said, there is a way we can repair this, and it was with pretty much a new technology used. Well, then I went back on tour. Right. And I went from California on a plane, long flight, to Florida. And the next day we had a show and I blew it out. Flat tire, so to speak. I couldn't sing, I couldn't speak. I went to see him. He said you had some broken blood vessels. So how did you repair the blood vessels? So what basically happens when someone does this, and it's a very common thing to occur with singers, You have to wait till the blood goes away. That's them, by the way. Figure it out. That's the Today Show, by the way. Come on, NBC. Squealing and squeaking like this. Because we worked to develop a specialized laser that had initially been used for infant skin who have vascular malformations, and then we organized a group to analyze using our vocal cords, so it was perfect. That guy knows things I don't. That is true.
For the blood vessels that have been breaking. So you use this new technology to fix this problem, and then you guys decide, you know, you can also learn. What did you do for his face, doctor? Absolutely nothing. So they hook you up with all these diagnostic tools. What was that like? In other words, they put me out. It's time. That still sounds jacked up. It's awful. It sounds terrible. So what they did is they put me in. Oh, what? Did they do it five minutes ago? He sounds like Mike Myers doing Linda Richmond. Right. He does. It's coffee talk with Paul Baldwin. He does. I said, I'll put a little red crack here. That's what I said, you know? That's a red cracker and chopped liver. Yeah, exactly. And he zapped me with a green laser. Right. Which only sees red. Which is, whoa. What the heck is that? So check this out, you guys. They're showing Steven Tyler in the doctor's office. It's footage of him in the doctor's office. And he's got an apparatus that is like a long bar from the bottom of his nose. And he's and Steven Tyler's holding it with his right hand, opening up his mouth and singing. And this laser beam is shooting into his mouth. Red, broken blood vessels. When guys get punched and they get chemotherapy in their skin.
If it happens, sweet emotions. Yeah, love in an elevator. Enough times, you get scarring under there. If that happens in your larynx, you can't sing anymore. He looks just like my Aunt Carmen. Oh, yeah. And clearly for your profession, that's a bad thing. So he's zapping it with this red laser and you can literally see it on the show. Afterward, as you start to look at his vocal cords in action upon healing, first of all, what was it like to have that scope so we could actually see that? Was that bizarre? Very. They numb your throat or they go down your nose. But in order to sing, they went down my nose. And I'm sitting there. The doctor's a fan and he's like, what I'm going to need you to do. I'm going to need you to do love in an elevator while I peer into your mouth. No, that's not working. Let's get a little genie's got a gun. Try that one. I think that one may get... I'll be able to fix it if you do that. You're singing too hard. Let's do a ballad. Do angel for me. Dream on. Dream on. Dream on. Dream on.
You guys, they have a camera. That is his throat? Yeah. And they are showing the inside of his larynx and voice box as he's doing this. It's incredible. The images are incredible. Nope. And you can see this on National Geographic. What do you mean? Nope. What? Okay, after Balut yesterday, I can't do that. Oh, quit your bitching. Oh, come on. You're being a baby about it. Come on. Quit being a girl. So you can watch a guy get the crap beat out of him until he's a bloody pulp. But you can't look at the inside of someone's throat? No way, dude. Come check it out, Rob. Come here, Rob. Come here. And so while I was in the chair and he was scoping me, I sang that note and they fused it together. And what will you say? No way. That's crazy.
What? They fuse his voice box together while he's going, and it starts to go back to where it should be. So in other words, when he was going, they start to do it while he's singing it, and it improves while he's singing it. Prize that, Doctor, in terms of the wear and tear that his vocal cords take in the average performance. Are you sure that's his throat? Is that a girl? I don't think that I'm old enough to see this. Maybe I should come in there. You've never seen this, Robert. As a Christian man, I don't know that I see him. Perspectives as a surgeon, one is in the office, and what he'll show in the National Geographic special is what his cleanings look like. What are you guys looking at? You daily record everything. And then you get the perspective of a surgical microscope, so you get to see decades of high-performance singing and the effect on these soft tissues. That's bizarre. As he's singing Dream On, you get to see his vocal cords singing Dream On. Yeah. That is cool. What exactly are we looking at right there? We're looking at Stephen creating sound at unusual frequencies for these...
His vocal fold tissues that are vibrating at that point are probably the size of an infant, but he's driving it with unbelievable lung pressure. And what we should say is we're taking one aspect of... Which, by the way, is probably what makes him Steven Tyler. In other words, he was born with this freakish thing that his vocal cords are the size of an infant's. Which means that when he sings, he's able to do those really cool things we hear Steven Tyler do. That's crazy. But because he's a full-grown man with a full-grown adult man's lungs, he drives them like, you know, putting an amplifier like you couldn't believe on a small set of speakers in your car. So he blows them out. Wow. They fix them so he can keep singing with those baby vocal cords. Yeah, it's right. This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much, Rock 105.3. Critical concert information from Rock 105.3. You know what I haven't heard in a long time? What? Yeah, that said what? Baby girl, I discovered you my own. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sing it. This was supposed to be a Britney Spears song. It was originally written for Britney Spears. She was supposed to record it, but she was whacked out. And so the guy that wrote it. which I think he's famous. I don't remember who it is. But the guy that wrote it, he was like, well, I got this other girl, Rihanna, that might want to record it. This was originally supposed to be sung by Britney Spears. You know what trips me out? How did the dude that wrote that song, how did he figure out that Ella, Ella would be so catchy? Like, you know, I would never think to write that. Do you think he wrote it or do you think it was in production? Oh.
they're in the booth and they're you know those those producers man they're crazy good you know they'll be like sometimes they just come up throw a little ella ella out of that man then what up and then do a little this yeah and the ones and twos yep yeah yeah baby girl that was good but uh let's take that stuff from the top this time girl throw a little ella ella on there off the tip oh baby girl oh wait oh wow yo that was good but um let's try that again And this time, back that thing up. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm talking about, girl. Hang on a second. I'm going to have Smolly run in there and run in some Kavassia to you, all right? Smolly? Smolly, get in there. I got to go into the studio with my friends, Systematic, in Nashville, when they were recording in Nashville. And they were recording with a famous producer who had recorded albums for... ZZ Top. Duran Duran. Okay, Duran Duran and ZZ Top. Nice. I can't remember who it was. He produced all these big albums. My mind just went blank. Pets on boys. Did I tell you, by the way, about what the psychiatrist said about when I can't remember words? Did I tell you guys about that? No. I think he forgot. It's a thing called word loss. And it happens with my ADD medicine. He said it's called word loss. But anyway, it's really cool. POD's producer. It was POD's producer? That's what it says right here. What album are you looking at? For their sophomore album. Peter something. It doesn't give his name. Peter Grant. Okay. Eddie Grant. Peter Grant. I remember that. Ulysses S. Grant. I remember because he found out that I liked cigars, and he had illegal Cuban cigars, and he brought some into the studio. Allegedly. He was probably kidding. Yeah, that's probably a joke. And as I had the first Cuban cigar I've ever had in my life, and I thought it was awful. Oh? It was so strong. But anyway, it's really cool. Was it a Robusto? A Robusto. Yeah. Boy, Robusto. It's really cool to watch.
people, you know, they should videotape people recording albums because when you see them singing without the music, it's extraordinary. They did this in that session. You guys remember seeing that in clubs in San Francisco? Oh, yeah. Many, well, barely. True. All I remember is the greatest thing that's ever happened. Oh, no. This is still Eddie's favorite moment of systematic ever, ever. The funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. Me and Mikey in a mosh pit in San Francisco with Systematic and Nick St. Dennis, the bass player, jumping into the crowd with his bass guitar, knocking Mikey completely out. Because he hit him with the guitar. On the head. I thought Mike was dead. I thought Mike was dead. It was every bit of his weight and the guitar hit me in the head. Just like flat on top of you. Wow. It was crazy. And hysterical.
Dude. I slung him over my shoulder and got the hell out of there. Is he bleeding? I don't think so. I don't think you were cut. I don't think so. But you had a knot on your head. Oh, I had this giant purple, black, brown. Oh, I wish YouTube was around back then. Oh, I know. I want to see that. I'm telling you, man. Down goes Mikey. Talk about a band that had all the talent in the world and everybody dropped the ball. Yeah. I mean, not the band. It's just that Lars, I had this idea, you know. Okay. I started this record company called Music Shop. No, sorry, the music company. And I always had the wrong idea to put out as a single for these guys. And then when it came to promoting, I spent about $4.50. They're good, man. They were real, real good. Such good music. And they were great live.
Like, they sounded like this line. They sounded just like this line. None of those guys hang out anymore. Really? That sucks. It's rock and roll, bro. I still talk to Nick, and I'll talk to Tim every once in a while. Adam, the guitar player, is doing his thing. They're all doing different stuff, which was really a shame. And I know that Lars had all the best intentions with that band. He really did. It's just... He was, I think, distracted by this other band called Metallica. Oh, who cares about that? Didn't... Tim joined a pretty big band? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He joined Man Made God and they changed the name of the band. Now they're called Spiral Arms and I think they're still working on putting out an album. Spiral Arms? Spiral Arms. You want to hear it? Sure. Can you go get my iPod? It's not bad, dude. He's a great singer. Tim's a great singer, man. I'll play it for you in a second. There is a P1 site that is
Pretty, pretty amazing. It was made by P1 Danny. And if you want to see it, it's for P1s. P1s are Mikey Show listeners. They listen exclusively to the Mikey Show. And when they call in, they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. That's what a P1 is. They also turn new people on to the Mikey Show. And it's pretty cool. Sky, I think they only had two albums. That's what I was. It's the first one. Okay, yeah. I was just IMing you. Peter Collins, he did Rush, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, and Alice in Chains. Wow. It was Peter Collins? Yeah, that's who did his first, their first album. Yeah. And then the second album was done by the same guy who did like the P.O.D. and stuff like that. He was a British guy. Yeah, from London. He was a British guy and you know what? I remember that his thing was and I didn't like it. And I I'm sitting there hearing it. I'm a friend of theirs in this recording studio with him when he's telling them this. I'm thinking in my head, I'm like, wow, that's wrong. Really? Yeah, you shouldn't do that. I still think it to this day. You know what he did? What? He really wanted Tim to enunciate the words because he wanted people to be able to sing along to the songs. My favorite thing was their demos.
Oh, yeah. So good. Their demos. In fact, I always contended that if Lars had got if Lars wanted to do it right, he should have just released the demos because the demos were. I remember, Eddie, didn't I call you at like one o'clock in the morning? Yeah. I went and saw them at a club, got their got their demo and was a long 45 minute drive home at about one o'clock in the morning from this club. uh and put the demo in because i just seen them live and i i never asked for people to give me their demos but i wanted their demo and i'm listening to it on the way home and i'm going this is some of the most incredible stuff i've ever heard listen to this hang on let me plug this in and uh eddie at the time still lived in san diego this was up in the bay area lars had just left the club lars ulrich from metallica had just left this club and uh You know, he had basically a few weeks earlier seen them too, and he really liked them, and he wanted to sign them to his label. But the demos were better than the actual produced album. To this day, I hear it, and I go, that was a good, that was a real good band. Yeah, it just kind of shows you kind of how jacked up the industry is. Like, you can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't meet the right people, and if those right people don't invest the right money in the right places, no one can ever know you even existed.
Want to hear what he's doing now? Yeah. Tim, this is Spiral Arms. It's pretty good. It's pretty good. Yeah, I like it. So that's a band that's yet to be signed. Wow. Dude, these dudes don't look like... Dude, these guys look tough, man. What, Spiral Arms? Yeah. You found a website? Well, they're... Send me the link. They're MySpace page. And yeah, we're talking like the big long goats and the... Can you send me that link? Yeah, I'll send you right now. I didn't give out the website, did I? Why don't I take a break? When I come back, I'm going to tell you about a P1-made website that is for P1s, about the Mikey Show, and it's one of the coolest I've seen. I'll tell you the website right after this. Just out of curiosity, what did you look like before the accident? The Mikey Show is on. Sounds incredible. Rock 105.3.

It doesn't come in a bottle or a pill. I don't have to buy it from some guy on the street. I never have a hangover, no matter how much I've indulged. Just one taste seemed to make all my problems melt away, like fog in the sunshine. Work, family troubles, money worries were... All replaced with a pain-killing numbness. For a while, it seemed perfect. Then my gambling got out of control. That's right. I'm talking about gambling. Slot machines for me. Video poker, too. For most people, it's just entertainment. I became... Well, before it was over, I lied. I wrote bad checks. I was no longer there for my kids. I'm not a bad person. I just lost my way. If my story sounds like yours...

Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 8.57. A new report says that two of the country's biggest airports failed to find fake bombs on undercover agents 60% of the time. The Buffalo Bills are a bunch of hosers, eh? They want to play two of their games in Toronto. Can you imagine? Yeah, they're trying to build their fan base. Into Toronto. Yeah. Good luck. I betcha. Eddie's going to be making his picks against the Charger girls coming up here in just a second. But first, let me give you this website. It is a website made by P1 Danny. It really is an amazing Mikey Show website. You can find it at www.p1site.com. That's P, the letter one.
site, S-I-T-E dot com. And yeah, he did this and it's all about the Mikey show and it really is well done. Yeah, he even got Space Boys help and put up the virtual Sean and a bunch of cool stuff. It's a great website. When you go in there, you will see that you can get personal bios. You can get questions answered about different people on the Mikey show except for Ashley and Sean, the only two people to not respond to Danny with the questionnaire. He writes on there, didn't respond, didn't respond. I will respond.
I respawned originally, and then you co-spawned. I respawned originally, and then he never got it, I guess. And then he sent them to me again, and then I was like, oh, again. And then he was all, and then I was all. And if that's true, all you had to do was forward your old response. And then I looked everywhere for it, and I couldn't find it. And it was because I don't know what happened to it. Go, go, go. You're a bastard. Go, go, go. It was because... Wait! Wait! Don't get her upset again. Don't get her upset. I did it. I did it. I'm not upset. I'm just saying it was because I was from home and I can't archive and save sent emails from home. Well said. You're well said. Well said. It's time for picks. It's time for Eddie's picks. The honor it goes up against the Charger girls. Pickle win. Or maybe pickles it's done. Versus the Chargers girls on the Mikey Show. Come on, Charger girls. Here comes the Charger girls. They're so cute. They're so cute. Well, well, well. So pretty. Fresh meat. I like it. That's two new girls. Welcome, ladies. Very nice to have you here. Absolutely. And, Eddie, how did it go last week against the Charger girls? It was like kissing your sister a little bit. We tied. Oh.
How is that, like, kissing your sister? Yeah, how is that? I don't want to know. Well, it's kind of cool, but yet it kind of sucks, you know? You know what I mean? I don't know. Isn't that the thing? I don't know. I don't know that anybody describes that as... I don't know. Well, I thought that's... No. Like, it's half good, half bad. It's never half good. I mean, it still, like, feels... Okay, thank you, Eddie. Never mind. I'll pass. I'll pass. Are you sure? In the studio with us are Shelby and Heather. Welcome, gals. Thank you for having us. Now, let me ask you, do you guys know football stuff or are we getting our information from someone else? Boyfriends? Come on, be serious. You can be honest. Yeah, it's half and half. We're pretty good at this. Are we kidding with this? What? At some point, we're considering saying Eddie versus Charger Girls Boyfriends. We are considering calling the band. We know a little bit about this. Skye, you tell me. Every time we've played, the girls have said, okay, maybe some help here and there, right?
Well, yeah, I mean, occasionally they ask other people's input. I did find myself arguing with my boyfriend this morning. So, Eddie, you never, you know, take other people's opinions. No. You just watch the games. You never read ESPN. You never read any of the reports. I do, but that doesn't have anything to do with my picks. Then maybe it should be Charger Girls against ESPN. Yeah. What does that have to do with my picks? I make the decision. Because you're listening to other sportscasters, you're taking their opinions. They're not saying, you know what, I really think so-and-so is going to win the game this week. Well, how do you know that's what they're getting? They just said. What are you talking about? They're just getting opinions from their boyfriend. They're not getting the specific picks. I'll just have my wife make the picks from now on. Well, the girls are just going to kick your ass again. Again? What do you mean I'm leading? Okay, so we tied, and then the two weeks prior... Hey, wait, guys, questions. Where is Zed? I have no idea. Zed's dead, baby. You went to grab that P1. Okay, because I don't have the pics in front of me. Oh, great. The schedule? The schedule. I don't have the schedule in front of me. Someone send him the link. Somebody send the link. That's all he needs is the link and he's good. Who is in charge of getting me? Zed. Every week. Come on, Zed. Get it together. I printed it. I don't know if...
I just IM'd it to you as well. I got it. You got it? All right, here we go. Are you ready, ladies? So ready. Okay, here we go. Bring it on. All right, Charger Girls, Arizona at Washington. Definitely the Washington Redskins. Eddie. Yes, I will take Washington as well. It's cute with the whole definitely, you know. It's cute. It was cute. That's all I'm saying. Is that bad? Eddie? Yes. Tennessee at Houston. Interesting game, Mike. Interesting game. If Vince Young were 100%, I would have taken Tennessee in this game, but he's banged up. He may not play. He wants to play because it's his favorite city in the world, Houston. Big game, but I will take Houston at home. Charger girls? No, no, no. We'll take the Titans on this one. Wow. Vince Young, he'll play. He'll be fine. He'll fire it up. Interesting. All right, Charger girls. Tampa Bay at Detroit. Why don't they just answer that? I don't know. Just read what you have written down. We say Tampa Bay. That seemed like a rash decision. I know. Are you guys sure? No, no, no. It's written down right here. I don't want to look. I don't want to look. Eddie, who are you going to take? I love this game. It's an easy decision. I'm taking Detroit. Wow. Why is that?
Detroit at home. I love the offense. It's been outscoring everybody. I just think they're going to, you know, Tampa Bay has no running backs. It's going to be an easy win for Detroit. We'll win there. It's fine. Eddie, San Francisco 49ers at the New York Giants. It's sad. San Francisco is very banged up. I'm going to have to take the Giants at home. All right. And Charger Girls. We would have to agree since, you're right, the 49ers did lose their starting quarterback. Charger Girls, who do you like in New England at Miami? We liked New England. Brady's on a roll. The whole team was looking strong this year. Eddie? Sorry. I apologize. I apologize. Hey, this game, look for a possible upset in this game. I'm not calling it. I'm not calling it. It's one of those games that make you kind of nervous if you're a Patriots fan, but I got to stick with New England. Eddie, Minnesota at Dallas. Dallas Cowboys, easy pick. Ladies? We agree.
Charger girls, who do you like in the Baltimore at Buffalo game? I'm liking Buffalo on this one. Kind of a tough one. Betty? Wow, that's a shocker. Yeah, ladies, why Buffalo in that game where, you know, how Buffalo's a turd and Baltimore's real good? Well, they were looking good against Dallas the other Monday. That is really good. They almost won. They did almost win. Almost. I like to take teams that do win. I'm going to take Baltimore in that game, Mike. It's Buffalo's week. Eddie, who do you like in Atlanta, New Orleans? Atlanta deciding to start Byron Lefkowitz made this game easy. I'm going to take New Orleans. And ladies? We are, too. Yep. Let's see. Charger girls, Kansas City at Oakland. We are going to go with Oakland. It's going to be a close game. It could be either one, but we're going to stick with Oakland. Eddie, what do you think?
Makes me want to vomit, but I'll take the Raiders. Oh, wow. They're doing better this year. You have to admit. Eddie, who do you like in the Jets at the Bengals? I'm worried about an upset in this one, too, but I'll take Cincinnati at home. Charger Girls? Yeah, we agree. Cincinnati is going to do it. All right, Charger Girls. Chicago at Philadelphia. We're going to have to say the Eagles since it's a home game. Eddie? I agree. Philadelphia. Eddie St. Louis at Seattle. A little worried about an upset in this game as well. A lot of possible upsets this week. I will take Seattle at home, though. Ladies? Seahawks. All right. Charger girls. Pittsburgh at Denver. Pittsburgh at Denver. Now, what are they doing? They try to find it on their sheet or something. All right. It's not that complicated. I didn't know what was going on. I have all the games in front of me. They're doing some stuff. They're researching. Okay, you know what? We're discussing this. Hold on, one second. We're coming up with the game plan. Oh, it's not on the list. Pass the line with the Steelers. They have been doing better this year. And the Broncos aren't looking so good. They're not doing as good as everyone thought. Eddie? I don't know what they had to look for for that game. I mean, that's exactly right. Pittsburgh is going to win the game. We like to think before we speak. Okay. Eddie? Indianapolis at Jacksonville? It's unlikely for you girls. No. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. No offense. Who do you like? Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Eddie? It is.
Oh, me? Yeah. Sorry. I'll take Indianapolis. And Charger Girls. Indianapolis. Now, what do you guys, it's a bye week, so what do you guys do on the bye week? Do you just get to hang out? You don't have to do anything? No special plans? Oh, we never get to hang out. We always have something to do. But on bye weeks, we do technically have the day off, but there's always promotions and stuff like that going on. And this weekend, on Saturday, we also have our Junior Charger Girls program. Now, what is it? What is it, Junior Charger Girls? Yeah. It's a little camp for young dancers or cheerleaders who want to be future Charger girls. And then come join us every Saturday up until our Halloween game, which is the 28th. They learn some choreography, you know, have fun. What are the ages? It's ages 7 to 15, I believe. Oh, that's cool. They get a uniform and they get to perform with us and everything. Oh, man, if you had a little girl, that'd be great, man. They'd love that. That'd be cool. And then because there's no game on Sunday. Do you guys at least get to sleep in and take it easy? We don't actually. What's going on? We sell calendars. We sell calendars during game day. Oh, really? Yeah, during the game. And even on the bye weeks, they got you doing that? Yeah. Oh, wow. Well, look at you guys. So where are you going to be selling the calendars this weekend? Do you know offhand or no? I have my sheet at home. I have no idea right now. And I have to work on Sundays. I don't even get to sell calendars. Really? Uh-huh.
What a bummer. You guys know what Halloween outfits you're going to wear? Yes, I'm going to be a pirate, and I'm going to be Tinkerbell. A pirate and Tinkerbell. All the Charger girls wear little outfits on the Halloween game. Really? Oh, that's cool. Let's do this. Let's take a quick time out, and when we come back, we've got lots of stuff. Tell the story as briefly as you can. Okay. After I had first signed up for AI, I called back with the insurance company that I originally had, a quote from AIS, and they told me no. And about two months later, a card in the mail. So I called them up to see why they had sent me a gift card, and they gave me the name of the person. I didn't recognize the name at all. They said her name was Amy, and he's like, I don't know an Amy. She mentioned she just happened to work ahead, called.
Called to get a better quote from, called into AIS to get a new quote. So the lady who works for your old insurance company heard that you got a better deal with AIS, and she then switched over to AIS? Oh, my God. So anyway, dude, thank you for telling us this story. No Dewey gay stuff. Okay. Thank you very much. No. Welcome back to the show. Guess who we've got on the inside line. Who? It's Andrea. Hey. Andrea Lake. How are you?
I'm great. How are you doing? I'm good. You're in town right now, right? I sure am. I'm so glad to be back in San Diego. I love it here so much. Andrea was on The Apprentice on NBC with Donald Trump. Should have won it. Thank you. She did a very good job. And she's rich. Hey, that's nice. That's fantastic. her to be rich, right? Yeah. Skrill. And she's doing this thing where she's teaching other people how to be rich. Yeah, I got to tell you something. I actually saw this. I went into where I get my haircut and one of the magazines that they had out was the Learning Annex and they were on the cover, Andrea. I was like, holy cow. I always wanted to be a cover girl, always. There you go. Now you are. And it's a cover girl for like a smart thing, which is even cooler. That's even cooler. Hey, Rob, you will enjoy hearing. And she's done it through t-shirts and other stuff. We did $4 million worth of just T-shirts last year, and I started in my little tiny house in Pacific Beach. So I teach people exactly how they can do that. That's right. Oh, my God. That's pretty incredible. That's crazy. Are you doing multiple classes? Are there a couple during the day? If you can't make one, you can make another? It's just one nighttime class on Monday and one nighttime class on Tuesday. Oh, my God. I'm canceling my plans on Monday. I know. If for some reason you can't make it, go to andrealake.com, send us an email, because we are going to have teleclasses.
too. If you want to go in person, it's so much better. Andrea, do you really give away the secrets that made you a millionaire? I mean, wouldn't that technically be creating competition for yourself? I swear to God I do because I think that the pot is big enough for everybody. Oh, I like that theory. There you go. I want a piece of that. How many t-shirts do you have in your closet, Mikey? I'm guessing like 50, 60? I do. I really do. And a lot of them are your t-shirts. Oh, I love that. Because the stuff that your t-shirts say are real funny. Like my favorite t-shirt ever, which was one that she offered. It's not one that I had custom made. It was a t-shirt that she offered. And it said, corporate radio sucks. And it was my, I mean, it's like faded now. Irony. Yeah, I have one like that from Andrea Lake that I wore so much that I basically wore it till it got holes in it and I had to throw it away and I was so sad. It was like a white little baby tee and it said fresh from detox on the front of it. Dude, I wore that thing everywhere. Yeah, I mean, her shirts are real cool. They got real funny stuff on them and it's all the stuff that you would ever think somebody would say, that should be on a t-shirt.
So anyway, she's giving a class. It's at the Learning Annex and learningannex.com. You can figure it out. And definitely right up Boston Rob's alley. I'm seriously, I'm going. Oh, awesome. I can't wait to see you there. I can just sign up right now before everybody else does this. Yeah, because when it fills up, I guess it fills up. Yes, yes, it does. And it's almost full, but there still is some space. So go right now and sign up, and I'll teach you how to do what I do. Do you still call New Mexico home? I do. I do. I've been traveling a lot. I went to Alaska for two months this summer, but I'm still in New Mexico. It's a trip. Andrea sends me a text from the road in Alaska, just like, it's so beautiful here, blah, blah, blah. And I go, where are you at? And she's like, I'm in Alaska. I'm driving through. And I go, like, doing what? She goes, oh, I just wanted to, like, get away. And I'm like... A little two-month vacay. Do you want to hear a secret? I travel for pleasure nine months out of the year. No joke. That is... You lucky girl. I don't want to punch you. That is nuts. That's crazy. And that was my thought. It was her and her dog. She strapped a mountain bike to the top of her car. And went from New Mexico. Just got on the road. Just decided to drive up to Alaska. She's loaded. So she can stop along the way and just stay in nice places and whatever. I'm like, that's the life, man. It's crazy.
It was pretty great. It's a good life. It's a good life. And I'll teach you guys how to do it seriously because I do everything with T-shirts start to finish. I license World of Warcraft. I sell my own original designs. I sell the chain stores, Mom and Pops, and I teach everybody exactly how to do every step of the way. Andrea, when I first met you, what was that thing that you had invented? Well, I didn't invent them, but I'm one of the best people in the world at them. They're called rhythm sticks where you put one stick in each hand and throw a middle stick around. I used to pay my rent by throwing these... on fire with torches at the end. I used to throw, like, at Enid Festival, which is Perry Farrell's old festivals, and yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Really fun. Yeah, when I first met you, you had those sticks. Yep. And then it went into the t-shirts, and now you're... I have stickers, stickerjunkie.com. It's a great site. She does stickers, too. Mm-hmm. Yep, we do. All kinds of stuff. Very cool. Well, listen, Andrea, thank you for coming on, and good luck to you, and I hope people go. Andrea, we should talk sometime. I got a lot of great adventures. I'm serious. Just email my assistant, and we'll see. Yeah. That's a good idea, Andrea. All of my things are patent pending right now. None of them are. I will. I will. They're brilliant. That's not true, Rob. I think outside of the box, so.
Like, way outside. It's a very small box, though. It's a sock idea. The sock idea is genius. Yeah, he's got an idea. He's colored socks. I don't want to say it on the air, but it's great. It won't matter, Rob. It won't matter. It won't. It won't matter. You can tell her if you want something. It's like a sock dispenser, but I'll get more into detail at a different point. Sock dispenser. My people are getting in touch with your people. You don't have any people, though. Me and Zeph. Yeah, that's people. That's your people? Yeah, me and Zeph are starting a t-shirt company. Yeah, he does. Zeth calls people for Rob on his cell phone. Zeth's cell phone said that Rob doesn't have to pay for the call when his phone's not turned off. Rob tells him, don't worry. When you get the bill, just expense it to me. Just, you know, hand in the receipts. It's a write-off. I'm a charity. Yeah. All right, Andrea. Take it easy. Thanks for coming on. Thank you so much. All right, we'll see you. I'll email you. It's Andrea Lake. Me and her are going to go into business. She has no business. She's good, bro. I got ideas, man. They're worth money. No. Yeah, wait until I'm a millionaire. I'll throw you something down. Don't worry, though. You get free of whatever I make. And as many as you want. Sock dispensers. Sean, you'd use them. Yeah, all the royalty on that sock dispenser.
I'm telling you, dude. I got more ideas. You guys know this? Isn't it called a dresser? Yeah. I already have one. I got one, too. Dude, hey, 1960 called and want their idea back, dude. This is the wave of the future. That's when they were invented in 1930. Yeah, that's when they invented the dresser. That's when it was, like, in. Yeah, the height of the dresser fat. Yes. Quaint American townhome. Now people are on the run. They need their socks ASAP. Come on. Running out the house, needing an extra pair of socks. Can you... Wait, wait, wait. You know how they have the infomercials that are real overdone? It's always people that can't use a knife. You know what I mean? The infomercial's like, don't you hate doing this? And people are like, oh! I can't cut a tomato! That'll be Rob's infomercial. It'll be like a guy standing at a dresser. Hold on, hold on. don't you hate this and the guy can't get the dresser open? And then the girl tries for him and breaks all her nails trying to pull it open. And then finally the sock drawer opens and all the socks go. Yeah, or the sock drawer opens and it like falls out and then falls on his foot and then he's hopping on one foot. And they're like, if you don't want this to happen to you, get the B-Rob Sockinator.
And then people are easily taking a sock out. And they're like so happy. Only three payments of $19.99. Exactly. Exactly. Don't undersell it. Yeah, that's too cheap, kid. Three payments of $45.99. I don't like what you're talking about. Rob, talk me through this. Why would you have a dispenser with socks in it? Why? And why socks? Thank you. Why not, you know, what's the difference between socks and, say, T-shirts? No, we start with socks. Well, this is the thing. For Sean, I was actually thinking about this. Because you know how to wear just, like, the colored T-shirts? You could have, like, a T-shirt dispenser. He has one of those now. It's called a drawer. Yeah. Or a hanger. Or a hanger. A closet. Why would you want a dispenser to do the job of a hanger? Where does the dispenser go? Yeah, and where does it go? It cuts down on... Does it go in the bathroom? No, no, no, no, no. You're an idiot, Mike. Well, it goes in your closet or it can just go on the wall next to your closet. That's the great thing. No, no, no, no. The thing that's great about putting it in your closet is that your closet's not already cluttered. You don't put every piece of junk you have.
In your closet. That's a point. It unclutters the closet. I see. My socks aren't in the closet. To begin with. But if they are, they unclutter the closet. But they're not. They're not. They're in the dresser, dude. I was talking about the t-shirt dispenser. One thing. I can't even bother you. I'm sorry. This is how the brain of a genius works. I'm just fine. Not really. Opposite. I just want to say you can get them in your favorite team or band or whatever you want. We put logos on them. On your socks? Where does the sock dispenser go? Where do you put it? On the wall. That's the great thing. They can go on the wall. They can go in your closet. Wherever is most convenient for you. This is what I got to walk to the dresser again to get in. On my way out, if I'm going into the bathroom, hey, look, the sock dispenser's right there by the door. And then how do I refill this dispenser with my socks that I wash? Oh, wait a minute. So, Rob, you mean you just put a bunch of loose socks and you pull them out like Kleenex? No. Oh, so it's actual socks that have been put together into a pair? No, you just lay the socks down. Yeah, yeah. They'll separate in pairs, you know what I mean?
And they're just laid flat. So you can just, it's like the paper towel dispenser in the bathroom. That's where I got the idea. And you pull, and you pull, let me get, let me ask. Now I feel like an idiot. No, no, no, no. So you pull a pair, you pull a pair out. You don't pull them one at a time. No, no, that's ridiculous. Wouldn't it make more sense to pull them one at a time so that you would always, you know, there's always a, you don't have to like bother with the messing up the pair thing. You always just have a sock. What if I have different colored socks? Yeah, what if it's like a fancy event and we need the black socks? Where are those? The black sock dispenser. So I have to buy multiple dispensers? Oh, come on. The black sock dispenser is a little more fancy. It looks a little nicer. You can put it on top of it. It's mahogany. It's mahogany. It's mahogany. But anybody that actually owns, you know, like nice socks realizes they're different pairs. Yeah. Like, they don't all match. They're not all ones. I get that. I'm still working on it. Hey, dude, this idea is not, it's in its infancy. Wow. Well, you know what? There's probably a smart P1 out there right now listening, and he'll take your idea and perfect it. That's amazing. Can you imagine him? And right now it's buy one, get one, have off. Can you imagine him pitching this idea to Andrea Lake? Oh, come on. I'm humiliated already. Well, I'm going to have my notebook there and everything, so it's not going to be like I'm going in empty-handed. Yeah, you've got to draw the diagram. You've got, like, sketches and stuff?
Heck yeah. Well, I'd like to see you. Fine. Can't wait. There's no sketches. Of course not. Please. What do you have, Rob? Can you imagine that somebody walks into your house and they see eight dispensers all over your house and they're like, what are those things hanging on the wall? What are those things hanging on the wall that look like paper towel dispensers? Oh, that's the B-Rob Sockinator. Yeah, those are for my socks. That one's for my dish towels. Those are for my bath towels. Well, what are in your drawers? Nothing. Nothing. You know what? That's the great thing. I was able to downsize my dresser. Now I have an empty dresser and I have these paper towel dispenser looking things hanging on every wall. All over your wall. No, no, no. You just have an empty drawer of your dresser because you were able to... I get it. You guys don't want one. What about what? The t-shirt one. That empties out a drawer. Next he's going to come up with one for your undies. Your pants. Your shoes. Your suits.
You're pulling your suit out of something that looks like a paper towel dispenser. Well, a leather paper towel dispenser. Oh, my bad. Genius. Gotta be nice. You're a genius. Pat bending on Aldi. Dumb chick challenge next. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is The Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to say. Rock 105.3. that only comes from California's dairies. What does certify mean? It means it rules. The seal also means my mom made sure she's buying local milk, not some other milk trucked in from out of state. And that means that she rules. Does your milk have the real California milk seal, Brenda? I don't know. Yeah, it is. When I hear his songs now, it sounds like... It sounds like somebody took one of those ice cream scoopers. Hey. And they like...
stuck it into a mold of like hit rock song, you know, and put it on the cookie sheet. And I'm not, and I like, I like it, but it almost seems like unfair. Yeah, it's like if Daughtry could go into a place where he could make his own cookies, he'd be like, you know what, I'd like to add a little bit of Nickelback in there. Maybe that's it, guys. Kind of like a cookie stone. Right, exactly, like Cold Stone for cookies. What? What's that? That's my other idea. Oh, man. We just thought it that right now. No, you didn't. You guys, what is Cookie Stone? Hold on. I pitched this to them in the office. Oh my gosh. We were just talking about Daughtry. What is Cookie Stone? What is Cookie Stone? Don't worry about this one, Rob. You've got no chance. If it's an invention you have, no one will steal it. It is. Cookie Stone. You've heard of Cold Stone, right?
Well, the idea behind Cold Stone is you go and get your ice cream with whatever you want on it. And they have different kind of flavors of ice cream. It's awesome. Well, I invented Cookie Stone where you just have different kinds of cookie doughs like chocolate or like peanut butter or whatever other kind of cookie doughs are on. And they have all different kinds of stuff you can put in it, even toppings. Maybe a little ice cream. I don't know. I haven't worked out all the ideas in my head. And then Eddie pitched to me, you put the cookie stone in like a bookstore. Wait, wait, wait. Before you go there. Who the hell wants to eat raw cookie dough? Yeah, you can get sick that way. You cook it fresh right there. That's the great thing. You bake it? Yeah. If you like your cookies crispy, we leave it in a little longer. If you like them doughy, we take them out early. Hang on. Don't you know that it takes time to bake cookies? Yeah, like 15 minutes, dude. Yeah, but don't you know that we're living in an age of instant gratification? This is for the old souls. The old time is the people that like this stuff and can appreciate it. Then put it in retirement communities. It has a better chance of doing well. I haven't figured out the market I'm going to do it in, but Eddie was saying we put it in a bookstore. The market is for people that don't have to work.
People that have all the time in the world on their hands. No, but you put in like a Barnes and Nobles or something like that. Then when you're shopping for your book, cookies are done. You get a little pager. It goes off. I'm done. But you do realize. I'm done. Wait a second. I don't know if you considered that baking is a lot like chemistry and each cookie has a different amount of time it needs to bake. So if you mix them all together. I didn't even think of that. You have cookies that are not meant to be baked for the same amount. Now, like, part of it's raw. That's not necessarily true. Part of it's cooked. They don't all cook at the same time, Ash. Ashley is head of operations. I would absolutely not. She would know. But, Ash, you know as a baker that you can't cook. Absolutely. I know the chocolate chip cookie recipe by heart. No, I know. That's why she's head of operations. Ash, you more than anybody should know you can't cook all cookies at the same amount. Yeah, you pretty much can. They're not all done. Yes, you can. You can take the average stinker doodle, peanut butter cookie. Stinker doodle? Snicker. What the hell is a stinker doodle? Chocolate chip. A stinker doodle? Chocolate chip, M&M, you know. Oh, my God. Peanut blossom. You can take your gentle cookie. Oh, watch your mouth. Peanut blossom. Yeah, I guess if you were to have...
It's all around 9 to 11 minutes. I guess if you were to have a bunch of cookies that do bake at the same time, you're fine. But you are limited to the cookies that do take the same amount of time. No, like I said, that's not a valid... Because he could get a very good plethora of cookies that all take about the same time to cook. Okay. I mean, as long as you can do that and you've got plenty of customers that don't mind waiting around 20 minutes. But with different stuff in it. And then for it to cool down. No, let me hand you this piping hot lava cake. Yeah, they do have to cool. Yeah, they got to cool down, bro. Oh, really? Yes, they do. It takes two minutes. One to two minutes to cool down a cookie. Okay, so now we're talking 12 minutes. If you want, this is the perfect place for a date. Let me just say that first off. Cookie Stone? Yeah. You don't think Colton makes sue over the name? Cold Cookies. No, you don't want to do that? Defeats the purpose. But they're hot. Why don't you call it Cookie Donald's? McCookies. Cookie King. Jack and the Cookie. Oh, I love it. Um.
Hey, Mikey, who are Rob's people anyway? Oompa Loompas? P1 Elitist? That's stupid. That's ridiculous. You guys are hard workers. I don't know. I'm mini-mini. Mikey, Boston Rob's ideas are ridiculous. Does he actually listen to himself when he's talking about these inventions? Signed, John DeLorean. That's a weird one. Toss it. Better get rid of that one. Fill it up and toss it. Hey, Mikey, just FYI, Tarius the Dream Nash wrote Umbrella. And regarding the Ella, Ella, Ella, he said it's his trademark hook. He calls it the dumb part and says he has to put the dumb part in every song he writes. It's all in Rolling Stone magazine. That's interesting. Because that's a part of Umbrella that I like. The Ella, Ella.
Eh, eh, eh. Under my umbrella. Eh, eh, eh, eh. We got it, guys. We get what you're talking about, guys. Oh, that's my favorite hook. This is not my favorite hook. The Mikey Show presents a somewhat elastic movie called The Dumb Chick Challenge. Come on, get in the mood. So not in the mood. You are in the mood. Opposite. Dumb Chick Challenge is where we take Sky, Ashley, and a female listener to participate in the Dumb Chick Challenge. It's really not that funny, Sean. The way that it works is we have questions that are assigned point value between one and three. Ones are easy, threes are hard, first person of five points is the winner. It's always me. Oh.
I believe Sky went first last time, so... That's true. I believe the listener went first last time, so... Who went first last time? Great question. All right. I actually do think Sky went first last time. Let's go with Ashley. Ashley, you're going to begin. Let's see who's picking who, though. P1, Denny, are you playing for yourself? I don't know. I guess I will play with... You're playing for... Am I playing for myself? Wait, wait, wait. Rob is so mad. Go ahead, Rob. Uh-oh. Rob is so frustrated. No, I told her. I said, you're going to play. Oh, okay. It's confusing. All right. Hey, Denny, you're perfect for the game. Hang on a second. No, no, no. It's going to be great. It's going to be great. It's true. P1 Javi, are you there? Yep. Javi, who would you like to select, Ashley or Skye? With Junior Beating. There you go. Ashley. Hang on the line. I resent that.
P1, Vanessa? I don't want you to be on my team. Vanessa, are you there? Good. How are you? I'm not really confusing. What the hell is going on? I love today. You're like, hi, Vanessa. She's like, God bless you. And congratulations. Hey, I'm here. You are there. Vanessa, you get senior beating. Yay. Hang on the line. My name is Skye. Her name is Skye. That's called Senior. Skye. Oh, dear. No, I'm a woman. I'm a woman. Lady, habla espanol. See? Perfect. All right, Denny, you're going to be playing for yourself, but Ashley is going to start. So, Ashley, what would you like? A one, a two, or a three-point? You're not in the mood, you said. What's up? So, Eddie, you're not going to give her any signs of what you need to say? I want to, but she's got to... Hey, listen. Hey. If she's not going to be into this, then I don't know if I'll feel like helping her. Oh, that's a good point. Are you in? She's trying to get you to do the signs. You can see her doing signs to you. You going to try hard? Of course I'm going to try hard. All right, Eddie, come on. Give her a sign. What does she need? Give me... I'll take a tea. Wait, do your voice. I believe Ashley said she wanted a two. Absolutely. A two-pointer. This question has been asked, and I believe it was asked last week. It won't matter. Shut up.
Oh, it's always so embarrassing. These are the worst. If she gets it right, we'll move on to another question and she'll have to go again. But just for funsies, I want to see if she can get this right. Okay. Ashley, what major barrier separated East and West Germany before it was knocked down in 1989? The Berlin Wall. You got it. Whoa! Right now. So let's give her another one because I think that was asked last week. Yeah. That was asked last week. All right, Ash. What up? What does OJ stand for in OJ Simpson? Oh, she's got to look like that. Yeah, you should know this. Please don't distract me, OJ. Listen, it's not orange juice. You don't know this. I'm getting my chopping knife out. I don't want to make you mad, OJ. I'm a big fan of your Heisman Trophy. I'm a big fan of it. I'm not a Heisman Trophy. I've won the Heisman Trophy. I'm a big fan of you, okay? I cut the head off a Heisman Trophy. Accurate.
I will say... If we're being honest, I'll cut the head off anything. Anything you want. I was thinking that was going to be my invention. It was called Head Choppers. It was just a shop. You come in, I'll cut the head off whatever you bring. We've done extensive field tests. I'm the new Kevorkian. Oh, Jay. It's not that funny. It's not that funny. Okay. Are you done? Nobody laughs like that. Nobody. That's really weird, OJ. Ashley, what does OJ stand for in OJ Simpson's name? I don't know, so I'll take a guess. I don't really care for the record. Orlando James. You know, you were really close. It's Orenthal James.
Who names their son Orenthal? You don't need to. Who the hell does that? Stupid. Wow. She gets so mad at the answers. The answer's infuriating. But I thought she didn't care. I know. I'll name my kid Orenthal. But OG for short. Oh, man. Hey, Rob, that email you're writing to your girlfriend is great, but if you could just put the call screen... Denny, Denny. I forgot the caller's name, and so I had a look at it, and I go up and I'm looking at him writing his girlfriend an email. Yeah, what was he saying? Anything good? I saw I love you. That's all I saw. I don't know. That was from her. You caught me doing that. You made me read that email on the air. Read it on the air. And it was the most embarrassing. First of all, if you want, you can just read your response because your response is hilarious. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It says wicked hot. No, no, no. Read the whole thing. You can read the whole thing. So what do you want? Yeah, read what she wrote to you first and what you responded. She wrote, hi, baby, this is my costume. No, no, no. Slow down. Slow it down. Yeah. It's much more effective. I can't even understand it. Don't try to just fly by words. Well, you wanted my response. Nice and slow. Nice and slow. I don't care. Her email to you.
This is her sending me an email about the costume that she bought. She wrote, hi, baby, this is my costume. No, no, no, no. Slow down. I said, hi, baby. You're not going to get away with this. You're not going to get away with this. Read it nice and slow, Rob. This is my costume. No, no. Start from the beginning. Hell, ass. Figure it out. Are you ready? Let me know when you're ready. Go ahead. Hi. Is this slow enough for you? Don't you try to ruin the humor in it. You know it's funny if you read it normal. No, don't do it. Maybe you should just read it. Yeah, it's up there, dude. Because it's so much funnier when he's forced to do it. But he'll just ruin it. He'll ruin it. I had to do it. Yeah, Ashley did it. So I'm going to read it. Want me to read it wicked slow or just my normal thing? Hey, dude. This is my costume. And I ordered the boots, too. Let me know what you think. Love you. And I wrote her back, wicked hot. I love it, but I'm hesitant with the circus known as Boo Ball and the clowns that will be there. I don't know. I'm sorry I'm like this. And then I was just going to sound like that. So he's letting her know, like, I'm being very, like, protective. Yes.
So you want me to show you the costume? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, hold on. Well, it's Wicked Hot, I know that. Yeah, I've heard. I know that it's Wicked Hot. But he's hesitant. But he's hesitant. But with the circus. Because the circus. Booball. Which is totally AKA Booball. She can't wear that. Let me see. She can't wear that. Dude, thank you. Well, she's got the boots, though, too, Mike. I want to see. Send me the link. Well, here's the song that goes with it. That's Wicked Hot. Yeah. I can't wait to see her. Right on. Eddie, you're married. I know. We ain't going trick-or-treating, though. You ain't going nowhere. He's going to take her trick-or-treating. Yeah, I got some candy. He knows where. He knows where the good places are. That's messed up. He's got it. That's messed up. I wouldn't talk about your wife like that. I wouldn't talk about your wife like that. How are you going to bring me to this? Hothead. Hothead. Jeez. I have to turn his microphone off. He's a hothead. I'm not a hothead. Look, I'm proud. I've got nothing but respect for you, lady. Just offering her some candy. All right, I got some candy for your wife then. That's fine. I trust you. It's a hothead. Like Manny running to first base. Take it easy. That's a low shot. That is a great reference. Accurate. I watched the game last night, bro. In your face, Rob. The guy's going to make his girlfriend dress as a furry for crying out loud just so she's completely covered up. I would prefer that, to be honest with you. Oh, I know. Here we go. Where we at?
I'm trying to... He's got his email up in here. Rob, can you answer them after the show? How about after the show, you send her an email, you let her know. If you're going to answer emails, why don't you help Mikey out, you clown? That's what I've been doing. He's got 600 emails over there that he hasn't read of mine. What are you talking about? I've been printing them all morning. You are a clown. Oh, come on, Slick. You should work on an invention that might actually work. Actually... I got a P1 call in and said they already got a cookie place like my idea, so that one's in the can because it's already out there. It's called Nestle, bro. It's been out for years. No, it's not. It's called Cookies by Design, which is a pretty good name, too. All right, Denny, would you like a one, two, or three-point question? Well, I've never played before, so I'm just going to take an easy one and go for a one. Okay. There you go. Your question is, what president issued the Emancipation Proclamation? What president issued the Emancipation Proclamation? Man, I feel stupid. Even Ashley knows it. In your face. In your face. In your face. Denny, five seconds. Okay. Well, everybody hates him. I'm just going to say Bush. That is...
What are you, Sky? That's not right. You've got some nerve calling me stupid. I have a brain fart. Sorry. Benny, it's Abraham Lincoln, actually. Well, close. Abraham Lincoln. They did a lot of the same things. Yes. We're going to count that as a no. Okay. Sky, one, two, or three points. Come on, Sky. Wow, Sky. I'm going to go for a two, please. Back to the old days. There we go. Back to the old days. Thank you. Just for you, Eddie. Old school. Skye, what was the very first video on MTV when it launched in 1981? It is The Buggles. What's the title? Oh, gosh. The title is something like... What was the very first video on MTV when it launched in 1981? That is a great question. I think this is a title, Music Killed the Radio Star. You're so close. It was Video Killed the Radio Star. Oh! Damn it, I should get points for that. One point? Very close. Very close. A quarter of a point. Ashley. What up? What do you want? A one, a two, or a three-point question? Is there calls from Eddie? Oh, that's weird. I don't know what that was. It's like a trucker honking his horn. What is that? It's odd. No, Eddie, that was, whatever that was, wasn't. Glad no one's taping. Yeah, I think you're mixing up your signals. Yeah, I think that signal was profane. You guys don't get it. Ash? All right. Go on, God.
I think Ashley said to give her a one-point question. Yeah, I did. Ashley, who invented the telephone? My dad. Oh, I knew it. Johnny Verizon. Johnny Verizon. It's a trick question. Nobody. God. I know that I will know this when he's there, but I'm just going to guess John Wilkes Booth. I love it. Anybody. Greatest answer. I love it. I love it. Yes. Give her a point for that. Yes. Please. You're very close. It was a person with three names. It was Alexander Graham Bell. Yes. That's right. Yes. Thank you, Sean. Denny. Yes. One, two, or three point question. Back to me. Let's do a one. We got it. Well, we got to get her on the board. This is molasses.
This is an easy one, Denny. Okay. What was the name of the judge in the O.J. Simpson murder case? Are you kidding me? I was seven years old. I wasn't watching the O.J. Simpson trial. But you never heard... You know, I wasn't alive when we landed on the moon. Wait, you weren't? But I can tell you what year we did it and who landed there. So she's going with the Sky School of Thought. Yes, that you had to have been alive to know when Japan was bombed. I was watching, like, Fraggle Rock and everything. Well, I don't actually have a Fraggle Rock question to give you here. Could we? And so I'm going to need an answer for this one. Okay, the judge who did the O.J. Simpson trial, I'm going to say Judge Judy. That is not correct. It's a great guess, but that is not correct. It was actually Judge Lance Ito. Ito. That's right. Well, she would have got it out of him. That's right. Now, we're going to take a quick timeout when we come back. Oh, Eddie just showed me the score. No one's on the board. No one. What? No one is on the board. We're never going home.
So we'll take a time out. I have a fight to catch. Take a time out when we come back. Denny, hang on the line, okay? Okay. Hang on. When we come back, we'll continue with the Dumb Chick Challenge. I got the biggest smile on my face to hear you in the game. 105.3. Are you unable to make your mortgage payment? Is the value of your home less than what you owe? It was this random little place off the beaten path. We went to a place around there, too. Yeah, they had taquitos just like these. Full of flavor, good texture. What are these, Delimix? Yeah, the place we went had taquitos like these, too. Wait, did this place have a really big fish tank in the middle? Yeah, and the tortillas were pressed and grilled right on the spot. You know, these Delimix taquitos taste a lot like that. Right. Oh, they were stuffed with this really tender shredded beef, just like these Delimix. Remember the mariachi band? Oh, my. Number one Cerveza Light in Mexico is now available here in the United States. To ensure that Tecate Light remains true to its Mexican Cerveza roots, we will not refer to Tecate Light as light b****. We feel its Mexican flavor and attitude are much too bold to be referred to as an ordinary light b****. In fact, to our censors, b**** is a four-letter word. They didn't even allow b**** to be mentioned in the same commercial as Tecate Light. Not even to explain the difference between b**** and cerveza. So as you can hear, all references to b**** have been censored for your protection in order to avoid any unintended association between light b****, tecate light cerveza. Tecate light, Mexico's number one cerveza light. It's not b**** cerveza. It's K-I-O-Z San Diego. It's also known as K-I-O-Z. K-I-O-Z! Yeah, it is. Gosh, I wish the za was in there. It is. You just gotta listen. It's real quiet. Listen real good. K-I-O-Z! Let's see. Denny, are you still with us?
Yes, I am. All right, let's finish the dump chick challenge. Did you read some encyclopedias while we were in break? Oh, Eddie. It's back to the dump chick. I don't know. It's kind of pandemonium over here. Oh, you get it? Panda. Panda. Pandemonium. All right, first person to five points wins. No one has any points right now. Can we just do one point? So it is Skye's turn. I'm going to go for another two, Mike. Oh, boy. I was so close with that last one. You were. You were. I was. I was. You got this, Skye. Skye, what state was Ronald Reagan governor of before being elected president? Oh, wow. I mean, I have a gut instinct. Go with the gut. Okay, I'm going with the gut. California. That is correct. What did you think? See how that works? Well, like, I immediately thought California, but then I started getting all this weird cowboy stuff in my head. Montana? Yeah. Ashley, one, two, or three points. Eddie's not giving her any sign. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. I think she said give me... I don't know. She said give me a... It's like Animal from The Muppet Show. Give me a... She wanted a three-pointer. No, I said two. Oh, you said a two-pointer. You wanted a two-pointer. Yeah, two points. All right, Ash. What event took place in the Boston Harbor that helped spark the Revolutionary War? Yeah, talk about it. Yeah. That is correct. You can put it on the board. And Denny. Yeah. One, two, or three-point question. I want a two. You got it. Oh.
What Islamic activist was the face of the nation of Islam in America in the late 1960s? Uh-oh. Hold on. Hold on. Let me Google it. What? No, sorry. Let me ask my friend. What was the question again? Now she's ready at her computer, so she can look it up. I'm not at a computer. What Islamic activist was the face of the nation of Islam in America in the late 1960s? What? I am going to have to say... I don't know. Oh, boy. The answer is Malcolm X. The answer is Malcolm X. Denny? Sky. Ashley, do you mind if I consult with your coach for a moment? I'm okay with that. Okay, thank you. But Denny cannot. Okay. Well, that's just messed up. She came at me. Okay, Coach Pappy. But that's what Ashley said. She said her coach is Coach Pappy.
Coach Pappy, your advice on going for a three and trying to wrap it up or going for another two-pointer? Well, for the sake of comedy, I say go for a three. Yes. All right. I will go for a three-pointer. Sky, in what country is the lira currency? Oh, gosh. Come on, Sky. She may know this. She's got a sneeze. She's got a sneeze. It's like a brain sneeze. Huh? America. No. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Oh, I don't know. I'm going to be so mad when I hear the answer, but I really don't know, so I'm just going to guess and say Italy. That is correct. To dedicate that win to you. Help me steal third. Yep. One, Denny, I'm sorry, but you're not going to win today. But one of the finer contestants we've ever had. That's right. And I accept your apology. Denny, you really... Oh, you heard that. Yay. Yes, we're good. You played your heart out, Denny. Thank you for playing. Yes, I did. Thank you very much. Thank you.
P1, Vanessa, are you there? Yes, I am. What up? Sky has one for you. Hang on the line. Yeah. Yay. Yay. Yay. Yay. Yay. I was thinking about all the old drops that we used to do that just kind of got boring for us. I was thinking we should have Sean take us on a walk down memory lane. I miss Rick Sutcliffe a lot. I do, too. I really miss him. I miss. He came out a couple weeks ago, and I was like, aw. It was great. Yeah. It was like a reunion. Give me some Sutcliffe. He's here. He's in the house today. Come on. It's fantastic. It's not that busy, man. It's not that busy. It's not, bro. You guys have me cracking up all the time. See, I thought that he had gone away because he was busy. And then I called him and he said, no, it's not the case. It's not that busy, man. It's not that busy. Our bad. It isn't, bro. He's the best. 570-1053. Beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. You call about anything you want.
We haven't heard very nice forever. Or any of those. Very nice. They are great. She has a wonderful physique. I am hoping that Madonna will be a very good father for her. I just read that baby Borat was born the other day. Really? Yeah, they had their baby. It was a little baby girl. Very nice. Very nice. What did you say? Did you say Mike Nifong? Nifong? Is that Chinese? I don't know. I've seen a Brad impression. All right, Mikey Show, hello. Anybody. Hello. Hello. Mikey Show, hello. Did he say a bad word? No, he said Jägermeister. Oh. Yeah, for a second I thought I heard it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But no, Jägermeister. I thought he said the N word. I did too. I did. That's what I thought he said. That would have been weird. What's up, dude? I was wondering if I could ask Sean where to get a furry costume for Halloween. Great question. Sean, where do you get him?
You could try going to hell for it. I didn't know they stopped them there. I thought it would be too hot. Give it a shot. Why does it get so sensitive when people bring up... Wow. Harsh. Yeah, that was pretty harsh. Mikey, as long as there are people with ideas like Boston Rob's out there, my awards will continually be given out. Signed, Charles Darwin. Oh. Oh. Sweet. Getting a word? All right. That's pretty good. What's up, bro? Thanks, guys. Mikey Show. Hello. Should I write a speech or something? No. Mikey Show. Hey, what's up? This is P1 Palomino. I got a question about that P1 site. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you guys know if they're going to be selling any kind of advertisement spots on there? And if so, do you know what price range people usually look at for a website that was just started for advertising? I don't know, but...
Boy, that sure would be weird if people are making money off the Mikey Show. Yeah, go to MikeyShow.com and advertise. Yeah. You know what I mean? I think that site's probably going to be almost as big as your guys'. Yeah, our sales department right now is stabbing themselves in the eye with a pole hearing that. Well, I mean, I think it's really cool, and he's probably right. It will turn into a big site, but, you know. I don't know. I mean, I think it's weird if people would start selling advertising on it. It's supposed to be about the show and all that. Hey, listen. I can't say that. I'll get in trouble. Mikey Show. Hey, this is P1 White Rabbit. I was calling about that store, Hell, where you get the furry costumes. They just opened that store in that Mission Valley mall, like down in Mission Valley, whatever they call that. Uh-huh, yeah. They just opened it up. Yeah, Sean said it said, Hell, and so... Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Cubby. It's you and Josh. All right. My favorite. Cubby. Hi, Cubby. Hi, Cubby. Go ahead. I don't know if you guys saw this story on foxsports.com, but I guess Dana White's not going to let Randy Couture retire. He's going to make him finish out his contract. But the jukebox part of this whole thing is that basically Dana said that he owns Randy Couture. They took a quote, but I don't know exactly what it was, but that was it.
They decide that Randy's got to give us a title. The winner of the Sylvia Verified is going to get it. That's not true. Here's the story. First of all, Randy Couture is under contract with the UFC. So it's not like Randy can go out and fight for another organization. He's still under contract with the UFC. He just wants to... quote-unquote retire. So the belt is going to be up for grabs. And what the deal is is the winner of the Brandon Vera-Tim Sylvia fight is supposedly going to fight Naguera for the title eventually. Oh, really? Yeah. That's cool. That's the deal. So keep your fingers crossed for B-Vera this weekend. That's right. Mikey Show. Hey, B-Rob, tell Sean he doesn't have to go all the way to hell for a costume. They just opened a brand new Furries R Us in the mall. He really got himself on that. He loves that. Me. Me, I'm funny. I get cancer. Mike's show. Mike's show. Hello. Hello. Hey, good morning, Mikey. Yeah, what's up, dude? Look, I'm a first-time caller. My friend just got me into the show, and this morning I was wondering, who was the girl that was crying? That was Ashley. That happens all the time? It happens on a pretty regular basis. I mean, sometimes...
I've ever heard in my life. It wasn't meant to be funny. It is hysterical. It is. Opposite, actually. That's pretty much stuff, though. I mean, like, does it happen, like, really? Does it happen that much? Well, she's a very emotional girl. You know, she's very passionate. And passionate emotions sometimes come together. Bipolar. Yeah, the lines. It's the side effect of my Adderall. It's the side effect of my Adderall. It's been causing me to just be a little bit more emotional. She's going to, like, blow off one day and, like, go crazy or psycho or something. Yeah, we do. I'm used to that. We do think that. And sometimes she does. At least Rob will be first. I'll be safe. Hey, who did you used to listen to? No, no, no. But was there a different radio show that you used to listen to before us and now we got you? changed it up after my friend told me, oh, there's this really funny show. You got to listen to it. Who does a morning show at Jammin' Z90? I have no idea. I don't even know. I don't even know anymore. Every time I go to school, I just turn on that station and it wakes me up and that's all I remember. Chico something. This is like the first time I'm into a radio show and I just thought it was hilarious. Thank you very much, dude. I appreciate it, man. Thank you very much.
Glad me breaking down made you laugh. It's so funny. It's so funny. Watch out, everyone. Get the Kleenex. Someone give us some lithium. Oh, Rob. What? What? That's so uncalled for. You're a jerk, Rob. A funny jerk, but jerk nonetheless. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, guys. Did you ever find out if B-Rob's a daddy? I've been announcing this, and I will continue to announce it. Until every last person knows. But on November 1st, the DNA results come back. Come on, no baby. Go ahead, Ashley. Oh, I was going to say, can we do appearances for this weekend now? Since you're going to... I'm sorry? We are too. I didn't know you were going to come right to me. I was just giving you, like, my heads up. Sorry. Yeah. Sorry. November 1st. Sorry. We're going to... It's okay. You're just trying to help. What about my parents, Mike? Go ahead, Ash. Oh, no. Okay. Oh, no. But, yeah. Oh. Well, no. But, you know. Anyway, nothing about Rob. So, I'm going to be out this weekend. I mean, who cares, really? If he's a dad. Anyway, Rob. Whatever. So, anyway. The lamplighter this weekend. I'll be, uh. Check me out over at Motorola. Spotlight over here, please. I'll be at my therapist. Shut up. There's a Krispy Kreme over there on Midway. And, uh.
Makes me happy. Go ahead, Ash. Where are you going to be? Well, me and Sky both got one, so I'll go first. If you want to come watch some college football with me this weekend. I tell you what, Sean, work on this over the weekend. We have Ashley's breakdown music. We need Ashley's, like, furious music. Why? Why are you
encouraging these negative emotions. I'm just saying that you have two modes. Rage and sadness. And that's it? That's pretty much you. That's me in a nutshell. This one's rage right now. Oh, you guys are all so funny. And this is totally helping my stability. Oh, no. We don't want that. Oh, that's rage. This is when Ashley's in a rage. It is? That's really weird. I think this is her normal music. Yeah, that's more accurate, actually. Probably some, like, rage against the machine. You get it from me, Ash? Where is it? I just swapped it out. Oh, can you always have it so I could pick? Uh-huh. Oh, this one's cool. Every Friday, end of the show, I do something called... Oh, what just happened? I almost spilled water. And you almost spilled water all over the day, though. I didn't, though. End of the show is on Friday. I like to give you what I call my testimony. I tell you, quickly, I kind of give you a background of...
where I came from and what happened in my life to make my life better. I used to be addicted to alcohol, but not only was I addicted to alcohol, I was also in a place of moral bankruptcy where the lines between right and wrong, I didn't even know what they were anymore. I remember one time having this, I had this nightmare about strip clubs and everybody in the strip club It was like, everybody in this strip club, it was like, was devils. It was like, I remember like the girls in this dream. And this was when I was in the middle of it, man. I was still going to party at the strip clubs and stuff. And I hadn't, you know, nothing had really changed in my life. I was drinking like crazy. But I remember that it was this hellish strip club. Like the girls, the customers, everybody were like demons.
waking up from the dream like shaking there were a few experiences that i had like that when i was in the middle of that period of my life where i was addicted to alcohol and i was morally bankrupt but i was also just living this um life where i was completely shut in and my friends would see me and everything but as soon as i left their site i went into this uh cave that was my apartment where I closed all of the windows and I locked all the doors and I turned the phones off. And that was my time to just get loaded. And I know that there's a lot of people that are listening right now that may be in similar situations, either with drugs or with booze, like I was. And that's why I tell you this story, because I tell you that that's where I was too. And then one night I asked...
Jesus Christ to come into my life and to help me. And he did. And I've never lost that. He's still with me today. And sometimes people, you hear people say, oh man, that Jesus stuff, it's just a crutch. And to that I will say, it is absolutely a crutch. And I'm so glad that I have him as my crutch. Because a crutch is something that you can use to support yourself. And he does every single day. And the thing is, is that it's not just the bad times. It's the good times too. Like he's still there. And so that's what happened in my life. If you're experiencing anything in your life right now that is lonely and hopeless, where you feel like you got no hope, you're going through a divorce. You have parents that have just passed away. You're addicted to something. You're doing something in your life that makes you feel dirty.
You're doing something in your life that you're ashamed of, that you wish that you can stop. You got some secret that no one knows about, that you don't like. There's hope. So at the end of the show on Fridays, I play this song by a band called Third Day. Song is called Tunnel. Really listen to the words to it. I try to stress that every time we play it. I just really listen to the words to this song, especially if you're one of the people that I described. And just know that Jesus Christ changed everything for me. Lovely and talented Missy's coming up next. We'll see you again on Monday. Go Brandon Vera. Mikey Show's out.
