The show opened with a detailed discussion of a recent 5.6 earthquake that shook Sean's Northern California home, followed by a tribute to the recently deceased singer Robert Goulet. Mikey then launched two new segments—Cheaters Hotel, which tested a listener's suspicions about her boyfriend Bruce, and Sean TV, where Sean reviewed the reality show I Love New York 2. Later, the program covered the controversial story of PETA activist Heather Mills whose fireworks display killed a neighbor's dog, aired a heartfelt plea from Omar for prayers for his leukemia‑stricken brother Esteban, and touched on the Lance Armstrong–Ashley Olsen dating rumor before closing with a spooky caller‑submitted ghost story from Chelsea about a haunted Kansas house.

It is 6.03. Britney Spears had another custody hearing yesterday. The judge granted her visitation with her boys three days a week. The NBA tipped off last night. The Lakers lose, even with Kobe Bryant scoring 45 points. I would have it queued up to a better point than this, except that the CD machines that, I'm telling you, were state-of-the-art in 1991. In 1991. You really couldn't get it better. It was even like almost looking into the future with these CD players in 1991. But in 2007, it's a travesty. A travesty. It's a travesty. Blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah, blah. Happy Halloween. No, I didn't. No, it isn't. Not this year. You said last year that was the end. You did. You promised. That was the swan song.
You promise. 5701053. Open the phone lines to everybody, all our P1s. P1 listeners are Mikey Show listeners exclusively. And when they call in, they turn their radio down, they get to the point, they don't cuss. I want to say thank you to the P1 that gave me this. I know his email address, but don't know his name. But he's a good man. He gave me this, and he gave me an album by Chino Moreno's sideband. This is a nice man. P1 Windows. P1 Windows... No, it was actually... It was P1 Fuchs. Oh, okay. P1 Fuchs gave me this. I always suspected Windows. Oh. I thought you might say that, Windows. That's why we'll do you fast. Ooh! Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Was it Windows that he was testing when the thing blew up out of the little Petri dish? You know, our friend Terry McCarty in Rochester, did you know that he's, like, in the thing, like, news groups, message boards...
I didn't know that existed. There's a the thing thing out there of people that are like seriously crazy into it. I told him that I really loved it. So one time he attached me to the emails and I wrote this thing that was like describing what has happened to all the characters later in life. And it was all hysterical. Not appreciated. Taken How dare you? Immediately taken off the email. And I'm sure then the conversation started flying of like, who put him on there? Who let this guy in? Not funny. You son of a bitch. The guy that wrote it, we're not even really mad at him because he's clearly like stupid. Does not get it. Doesn't get it and he's stupid. It's who let that guy do that? But 570-1053 is our phone number. Let me quickly introduce everybody.
My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37. Eddie's our producer, our sports guy. He's 34. Sky does news for us. She's 30. Sean is our sound effects guy. He's 37. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 24. Boston Rob is our phone screener. He's 24. And Zeth's the youngest guy on the show. He's a utility guy. He's 22. He does everything. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. Don't you have a Halloween joke or a Thanksgiving joke? They tell once a year. Oh, it's funny that you ask. Oh, come on. No, sir. It was retired. No. No, I love it. Don't retire it. You don't love it. I do love it. I love everything about you. It's a Thanksgiving joke, so I will wait for Thanksgiving to tell you that joke. But since I have it on the line here. No. No. No, thank you. Let's hear it. What you got? Why can't witches have babies? Don't know. Because their husbands have Halloweenies. Halloweenies. You are fantastic. Thank you. You're a good man.
So ashamed. Thank you very much. Halloween joke. I've only been doing that a couple of years. A couple of years. I started that tradition in 05. How dare you. But it's always fun to do again. So much stuff. First of all, we're going to do your ghost stories later on, so get ready for that. Do your ghost stories in a little bit. What a show today. First of all, there was an earthquake last night in Northern California. Those of you that don't know, Sean lives in Northern California. Our sound effects guy, he lives up there. And it was centered in the town he lives in. Dude. Was he swallowed by the earth? Practically. Oh. Practically. You're okay. Yes. It was a 5 point what, Sean? 5.6. And it was centered about 7 miles from my house. Oh. Yeah. That's a good jolt. We felt it. What time? 8.05. Oh, wow.
A 5.6 is definitely, like on my scale, my scale goes, eh, you got my attention, and uh-oh. I have a three-scale earthquake deal, and that was definitely a you got my attention. Those ones in the fives are, and people on the East Coast that are listening, they're like, I don't get it. What's the difference between a five? You know what I mean? So is everything okay, Sean? Anything break? Yeah, we had a lot of broken stuff. Everything fell out of our cabinets, like in the bathrooms. We had a lot of the furniture moved, like the couch moved. Most of the stuff that broke was upstairs. We have a two-story, and, you know, downstairs was all right, but I guess once you get upstairs, things really start going back and forth.
Everybody has a different reaction to them. I enjoy the sensation of earthquakes. Enjoy it? Yeah, I think they're fun. You don't get scared? Uh-uh. What? I don't know about this one. Opposite of scary. Hey, I was in the Loma Prieta. I understand. And that didn't scare you? It was exhilarating. I found it exhilarating and fun, and I was not fearful for my life, and I thought it was really exhilarating. It's the best word I could use. And I wasn't hurt by it. And it was a lot like a ride. I remember how high... Because that was a rolling earthquake. So I remember how high the other wall came and then watching it go down and then watching it come up. And that was exhilarating. But for my family, it was real scary because they had stuff falling down around them. And I didn't. I didn't experience that. I was working at a company that... sorted through lottery cards for different states. That was my job. That sounds exhilarating. Boston Rom, have you ever experienced an earthquake before? Never. I'd like to. Yeah, I think that your personality, I think you would like it. I think that since I've moved out here, we've had little ones, but I've never felt anything. People have asked me, did you feel the quake today? The part of the earthquake that kind of gets me, the part of the earthquake that makes me the most nervous,
The sound. Yeah, that's the worst. What's the sound like? Very guttural, very deep, low, and... And like, the word rattle comes to mind. It's like this deep, low, rattling. It's a rattle that starts to intensify. It starts very low. You hear a low rumble. Is it something like you'll feel first, and then you hear it? You know what I mean? Like that kind of mode. Sean, what was it like last night? Well, last night, because we were so close, the first thing we heard was like a cracking, like sonic boom. So you heard like this giant, like earth peeling crack first. And then it was a slow, like sort of shaking that crescendoed very quickly. So you had kind of like a, and then it just like went crazy. Do they scare you, Sean? I've never been scared by earthquakes before. I've always found them exhilarating like you. And last night, yeah, I was pretty scared. What was the difference? The difference was the intensity and the type. Because normally, especially during the Loma Prieta, you have this sort of rolling effect. And last night, it was more like a flat tire. Like it was just jolting and jarring and was...
throwing things up and down very quickly. Now that is different. That's different. And there are different kinds. That would probably get my attention too. Do your cats freak out before it happens? No, actually they were all sleeping around us and when it started to happen they let out this horrific shriek like I've never heard an animal make before. Really? It was really just... Chilling. And this morning, they are still, like, hiding when they come out. Poor babies. I didn't care. That's not true. That's not true. Kind of true. I was annoyed. After a while, I was like, come on. Here's some of the calls that started coming into the local TV stations last night in San Francisco after it happened. Cut 37. Tell us what you felt. I was sitting in the family room on the couch. And it felt like... I was swimming. And I said, what is this? And I looked at my flowers. They were going crazy. My chandelier was going crazy. My daughter ran in. She said, Mama, am I drowning? It felt like we were swimming. And then I said, my eyes is going crazy. That is a... Listen, ma'am, thank you. Second of all, would you be interested in a correspondent job? Oh, man. I'd like to have you on as a regular correspondent.
Do the backstroke, honey. Butterfly. Mama, am I drowning? Get the floaties. That's right. Throw that girl a life raft. Cut 38. Guess what just happened? My feeling just cracked in half. I was like, no way. She was like, yes, word of God. So I just wanted to call and report some damage about that situation that just happened and damage everything. There was no injury associated with that, was there? No injury. Oh, good. Okay. So you take this one in stride. It didn't startle you to the point that you thought it was a big one. Did you hear that? I need some toilet paper. I'll play just that part. You take this one in stride. It didn't startle you to the point that you thought it was a big one.
Can I ask you a question, sir? The need for toilet paper. Apparently that's an issue there at your home. Is that due to the earthquake? Yes. Was your toilet paper swallowed by the earth? Did it drown? Did it drown? Wow. That's really incredible. Glad you're okay, Seanio. Very sad news. We found out that Robert Goulet has passed away. I love Robert. Yeah, the great Robert Goulet dead at 70. Goulet. He was waiting for a lung transplant. The first day of spring. Wow, he's got a great... Goulet. A new song to sing. Guy, do you know what the deal was? Why did he need a lung transplant?
I guess he suffered from a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis, and he had been awaiting a lung for a while, and it unfortunately never came through, and he passed away yesterday in Los Angeles. It's kind of sad when people die, man. It's not bad for his family if they're real sad. But, you know, I gotta go. I hear Robert Goulet singing Jingle Bells, Batman Smells on an episode of The Simpsons. Cut one. Yes, that is a great song. It's a song we all know. There isn't one of us in the listening audience that hasn't heard that unless, of course, you're here from the Middle East or areas of Eastern Europe. The rest of you, I don't care who you are, Australian, Kiwi, whatever, you know Jingle Bells, Batman Smells. We all learned it. I would say average age. When does that get into the curriculum? Probably first grade? Yeah.
Is that first grade curriculum or is that kindergarten curriculum? Pretty young, yeah. First grade. See, I don't think we had got to Jingle Bell's Batman Smells at kindergarten. I think that that was too young. Yeah. So, we're around first grade. Here's Will Ferrell playing Robert Goulet. Yes. Cut three. Hello, I'm Robert Goulet. I know one thing we can agree on. When a professional gets his mitts on a song, that's when it really takes off. That is genius. That's some good stuff. Let's see. P1 training manager. Good morning, Mikey. What's going on? Hey, I was just wondering what I'm sure a lot of people are wondering. Are Sean's snow globe collections okay? Oh. Great question. Wonderful question. Sean, how's the globes? Yeah, the globes are fine. They're mostly plastic. And in an earthquake-proof case. Oh, yeah. Protected by a furry outfit or something. You son of a bitch. What? Wouldn't that make sense? No! It's really a trip because you can kind of go down the list of disasters and what would be in jeopardy. If Sean lived here in San Diego, the furry outfits would be in jeopardy. In an earthquake situation,
The Globes. But he always stays dry with that secret deodorant. That's right. It doesn't matter what the situation. You know what? Booster seat cream. It doesn't matter how nervous he gets. That secret vanilla's got him. Lovely. Couldn't go to sleep last night until he had a nice warm glass of milk and salt. That's right. What if I do? Sean likes to drink milk occasionally with just a pinch of kosher salt. It's good. It enhances the flavor. Okay. And your belly. Ashley bought the new Britney Spears CD yesterday. That is. Did you listen to the whole thing? No, I got about to track eight. What kinds of things? Because when we listen to... Did you listen in your car? Yeah. When we listen to a brand new CD in our car, I think we all have our way of consuming it. We have our way of thinking about it. Or maybe we go into sort of shut off mode mentally and we just absorb it. But when I listen to new stuff, I'm trying to figure out which one of these songs sound great on the radio. That's what I always do. Which one of these sounds like a hit? That's what I do when I listen to any CD. It doesn't matter what it is. And then I'm also, me personally, I'm looking for good melodies because I love to sing along to songs. Well, who doesn't? Yeah.
Now, when you first get a CD, do you listen to it from start to finish? I try. Okay, because what I do is I just go straight for the tracks I already know. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, I avoid the ones I know because I already know them. Oh. I want the new stuff. Yeah. Yeah, so I avoid the ones I know because I want the new stuff. And I try to listen really loud. Eddie, do you have like a routine you go through listening to new stuff? I'm actually kind of more like Sky, where I will... tend to go towards the familiar stuff first and then try to absorb new material. Even though you guys know it already? But I enjoy it. That's why I got the CD. Yeah, that's the reason I bought the CD. See, you know me. If I like something, I've already downloaded that song and listened to it 900 billion times in a row over and over and over and over. So I'm so burnt out on it. By the time I get the CD, I want new stuff to be burnt out on.
Ash, do you have any tracks up for me? Yeah, I was going to say, so far I've got up what I think is my favorite track on the CD. It's also going to be her new single. It's called Break the Ice. It's in light yellow. It's so good. Sky, you're going to love it. Really? It's so good. It sounds catchy. It grows on you. Because I heard it the first time and I was like, oh, not bad. You hear it a second time and you're like, ooh. And then the third time and you want to like... What about... A little bit later on, what I'm going to have her do is I want to hear the ones that were like turds. There's a couple of those, too. Oh, no. There's a couple of those, too. I'm not going to lie. So it is Halloween today, and all of us are dressed as radio air personalities. Ah, you got my outfit. Yep. We all decided to go the same. All right. So here's my Halloween music that I play every year.
It's really spooky. Mikey Show, hello. Mikey? Yes? Yeah, I was just calling to see if you guys heard anything about A-Rod moving to the Dodgers. Eddie, have you heard that? No. Or anything? No? Not yet. Well, you know, the big thing is that, you know, Grady Little, their manager, resigned yesterday to basically open the door for Joe Torre to come in. They're saying Joe Torre and Don Mattingly are going to become the Dodgers coach. Our manager and bench coach. And then, you know, because Joe Torre's there, now the rumors are kind of swirling that A-Rod may follow him there. But nothing official at all. That's P1 Oside. Hey, P1 Oside, tell everybody what a P1 is. It's somebody that doesn't cut, gets to the point, and listens exclusively to the Mikey Show. There you go. Let me give you something. I watched the... My wife had taped Dancing with the Stars.
And so she showed me the tape of the girl that we were talking about yesterday that supposedly farted while... Julianne. Julianne. And it's very undeniable that she farted. Really? Wow. Yeah, because I was trying to watch it on YouTube, but obviously it's like a tiny little screen, so it was hard to see. So I couldn't tell from watching that. Oh, it's... There's no question. No question. No question. Wow. If you didn't get to see it or hear it on our show yesterday, here it is. And if you like their cha-cha, then get up off of your thing and vote for them. Call, text, log on to ABC.com, whatever you have to do. Remember, none of our stars... You can also say, when she does it, she puts her hand over her mouth and turns like this, like, oh my gosh. And the people behind her start to hysterically laugh. And her dance partner points at her like, oh my God, she just farted. And she has this look of, I'm going to keep this smiling, keep this face smiling. Yeah, she's a pro. But you can see in her eyes like, how? How did it happen? How did that just happen? How did I just bevel on TV?
How did I just fart right here on TV? It looked really embarrassing. That's crazy. Mm-hmm. Skye said off the air that she had a pretty bad day yesterday with the Home Depot. Yeah. We should, like, literally, they should have a picture of my husband when you walk in that place because, I mean, he practically lives there. I mean, that's what my husband does. He remodels stuff. He fixes stuff. So he's there literally, like, six days a week, okay? So, yesterday needs to rent a truck because he has to pick up some wood flooring. And so, he goes there to rent the truck. And it's always drama when you're trying to rent a car from there. But they have the cool flatbed trucks. Like, not the pickup trucks, the flatbed trucks, which is awesome. So, he goes there and the lady goes, okay, cool. Filling out the paperwork. Getting everything ready. Cool, cool. Ready to go. Go out to the car.
The club, you know that thing that you put in your steering wheel? It's called the club. Deaf device. Yeah, to keep your car safe. It has a club in there. So my husband goes back, hey, just rented this from you guys, blah, blah, blah. There's a club. Do you have a key for the club? nobody knows where the key is nobody knows you know nobody really cares and he's like well the time's ticking on my rental and uh you know i can't leave and so okay really you know they don't care they're just looking for the key but no urgency everybody listening can relate to that by the way of the person that you need to help you with no scoot in their boot right And then it finally gets to the point where the chick goes, you know what? One of our workers took one of the trucks over, because this was at, you know, one store. They said, oh, they took it up to Oceanside. And so maybe he has the key for the club up in Oceanside. Well, can you call him? Okay, call him. Guy's not answering his phone. Okay, well, I'll wait a while. So my husband waits. Nobody cares. Nothing ever happens. Nobody's checking in with him. Finally, he goes, you know what? Let me leave you my phone number.
I need this truck today. Call me as soon as you guys figure it out. Waited a couple hours. Checked back in. Nobody knows what he's talking about. Has to go through the whole thing again. Still no key. Okay. Still a couple hours go by. Nobody calls him back. Calls again. Same thing. No one knows what he's talking about. Has to go through the same thing again. No key. So finally he just gave up. And so yesterday I was so upset for him because his whole day of work was wasted around this. I didn't know. Should I call Home Depot corporate? Do I write a letter? And then I finally got to the point, that's not going to accomplish anything. This just goes back to what we've talked about before, customer service, and they don't really care. It's crazy, right? They don't care. You've heard me talk about my happiness with the CVS pharmacy. It used to be called Save-On, and they changed it to CVS. And when it changed, it went to crazy mayhem. It went from a very organized situation to just craziness. And I'm not, like, seriously, like, I'm telling you, like, I believe that I'm a people pleaser. And so my threshold for that is pretty high. I have a pretty high threshold for it. But I do think it's strange when you're standing at the counter and, like, the employees are throwing things at each other. Oh, yeah. Right? You know, and you're just kind of like, wow, this is...
really different than the way it used to be. Well, did I mention to you guys that Jake had a diaper rash? No. Yeah, Jake had a diaper rash and it was real bad. Like, I mean, I'm talking like bright, bright, bright, bright red. That sucks. Yeah, it was real bad. And so, and every time we changed his diaper, he'd freak out because it hurt. So we took him to the pediatrician. The pediatrician gives him this cream ointment that you put on there. And so we take the cream ointment home. We're using the cream ointment and it's not really working that great. She's putting it on the two times a day and it's not really working very good. And then she runs out of it really quick. So she goes back yesterday to the CVS to get the prescription refilled. And they look at it and they go, oh, you know what? We gave you the wrong size. This is only the half size one that we're supposed to give you. And, oh, man. We put on here that you're supposed to put it two times a day. You're supposed to put it four. Ugh. Dude. Dude. And I'm like.
And she's telling me this. I'm in the car. She's telling me this after it happened. And I'm doing this, literally doing this exercise of like breathing really. Because immediately I'm filled with, you know. Rage? Rage. Well, and I mean, that totally sucks. But I mean, that's one place you can't make mistakes is the prescription department. I mean, you can kill somebody that way. I mean, you guys were very lucky in your case that it was what it was. In somebody else's case, if you made a mistake like that, it could literally kill a person. Well, I said to her, I go, did you get upset? And she goes, yeah. And I said, okay, good. Because I do believe that there are situations where you need to be, you need to be upset. It's okay to be upset, and you need to be upset, and you could be upset. You don't have to be a jerk. You don't have to call names. You don't have to be, you know. But you need to show, hey, listen, come on.
And so they gave her a free one. Thank you. But yeah, man. I mean, it's different. It's very different. It's very different. Okay, so here's what we have for you today. We're going to play for the first time. We got a new game. And I'll tell you this. We're giving you the hits today and we're giving you some new stuff. In terms of the hits. We got Cheaters Hotel on the show today. So we're going to find out if someone is cheating. And you can go to MikeyShow.com if you think that your husband or your wife or your boyfriend or girlfriend are cheating. And we'll try to help you figure it out. More often times than not, like last week, the person's not cheating. But it's a good way to find out, right? I mean, you want to know. So that's coming up. We'll do your ghost stories, weird stuff that you've had with the ghost stories. Paranormal. The paranormal. Because it's Halloween, we'll do a little bit of that. In fact. Thank you. We're going to be doing something brand new today called Sean TV. Yes, Sean! I'm excited. The idea is that Sean, he watches everything on TV. That's what this was born of. Sean watches everything.
everything on tv yeah i like television he watches shows that you've never heard of before well and when we do this segment called sean tv sean will review those shows and so sean what are you going to review today well it's a show that i think a lot of people actually do watch i wanted to start with something that is relatively familiar to people it's a show called i love new york too Yes! Wear anything I have to wear. I'll do anything. Remember those last few Halloweens getting a little too old for it? Just kind of going through the motions. Bing, bong. Come on, lady, let's go. Sometimes they give you that little white bag twisted on the top. You know that's going to be some crap candy. It's got to have those official Halloween markings on it.

And now because of the fog, looks like we've got several accidents working. One northbound 15 at Miramar Road blocking the right lanes. Medics on the scene here. That's backing up your traffic heading that direction. South 15, you'll find the usual slowdown coming out of Escondido. Then again through Rancho Bernardo in the construction zone. The coaster rides southbound 5. Also some reduced speeds and brake lights and a lot of fog here out of Vincenitas down towards Solana Beach. Northbound 5 coming into downtown. You're going to find another accident now on that ramp to North 163 in the downtown S-curve. Excuse me, that's going to back up traffic there. North 805 also seeing some heavy traffic now developing out of the South Bay up through National City, then again through North Park. And let's see, the South, oh yeah, the Southbound 67 out of Ramona. Because that 78 is closed through the San Pasquale Valley because of the fires, they're diverting all that Ramona traffic on the Highland Valley Road to the 67 as it was yesterday. That's already backing up big time. So give yourself some extra time. if you're heading down that roadway out of Ramona this morning. I'm Rick Lawrence with traffic on Rock 105.3. Cricket Wireless is the way to go. I mean, if you're the type that contracts and likes free things, then yes, it's for you. Yeah.
If you're not that type, if you like paying for text messaging, picture messaging, being in contracts, then maybe, you know, Cricket isn't for you. Yeah, you could be that type of person. Yeah, and maybe you don't enjoy getting your first month of service free. So, yeah, sorry. Yeah, maybe you're the type of person that's like, hey, listen, guys, that all sounds great, but... I prefer to pay for my text messages. I like accruing charges for sending pictures to family and friends. And to be quite honest with you, I really enjoy the security of being locked into a contract for many, many years. Maybe you're a Nazi war criminal. That's right. Wow. So if this is something that you would like to live without, then perhaps you should call Cricket Wireless or go into one of their stores or check out their website. Skye, what's the website? Mycricket.com slash San Diego. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I'm 37 years old. I'm a Gemini. I shave my head bald. I'm atrocious to look at, and I have a good sense of humor. Eddie. I hate anything except for you. Sky. I'm sorry, I talk like an old human. I'm sorry, I apologize. Sean. That's right. Eat it. Boston Rob. I got Boston on my mind. And on your throat. That's what it is.
And Ashley. I despise theme parties. They make me really uncomfortable, and I hate them. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Welcome back to The Mikey Show. It is 6.42. Authorities announced that a boy playing with matches started the fire up in Santa Clarita that destroyed 21 homes. L.A. Dodgers manager Grady Little resigns yesterday, sees the writing on the wall with Joe Torre in line for the job. So, yeah, the deal is, has apparently just done this interview where she says that, yeah, when she was growing up, her brothers and sisters were being abused, they were being beaten, but she wasn't. Yeah, she said she lives with a lot of guilt because of that, because she wasn't able to stop her father from beating up her mom and her sibling, and I guess it's her mom and her dad divorced when Hallie was four.
But then when Hallie was about 10, her mom thought it would be a good idea to have the father back in the kid's life. So he came back to live with him again. And that's when, you know, the abuse got really bad for me. She said the hard part for her was never being abused and the guilt that followed. Really? That's really sad. Why would the guy abuse everybody but Halle Berry? She's hot. It's weird. Like, I have a girlfriend who was like that. father abused her and her mother but not her three other sisters and one of her other sisters was actually adopted so you know it was weird but she was the only one of the siblings abused her and her mother what does she have any thoughts on why because she can control the weather i don't get it i don't get it hello Hello. Control the weather. We didn't even think of it. Storm. Well, because it doesn't make sense. Like, would you mess with somebody that can make a lightning bolt, like, happen immediately and clouds form? Hey, listen. A lot of you are probably afraid to say it. I'm not. I'll step out of my manhood for a second. I am afraid of that. Yeah. I'm afraid. Dude, I'm frog guy. I'm frightened. Absolutely. Okay. That's all I'm saying, you know. Don't mess with storm.
You can't do it. You can't do it. I guess there's the answer, everyone. Mm-hmm. Ridiculous. Hey, Ash, do you have a turd song up yet from Britney Spears? Yeah. Press page down. Okay. The second one, I haven't completely color-coded. I see it. Piece of Me. Interesting. It's interesting. Sounds like something Jigsaw would play for you. Seriously. Baruca Salt. I see it. I mean, get to it already. It's creeping me out. Wow, happy Halloween. Come on, that can't be true. It doesn't ever break into a hip-hop jam or a song. This is it. It does this for three and a half minutes? Maybe they didn't know they were recording. Maybe they recorded it in V-Rob's studio.
Tin Can Productions. Maybe they don't know that's on the CD. Yeah, maybe not. And they find out somebody gets fired. How'd you let that on there? What the? That's an outtake. Might as well record her in the bathroom. Okay. What about Hot as Ice? Hot as Ice is ridiculous, and you're going to see what I mean when you play it, but I can also see it being a hit. Just the lyrics are ridiculous. Ah! Ah! Thank you. That's worth a second play. Oh, yes. I'll keep going. She does that for like 30 seconds. Oh, I like that. You know, it's kind of a sad thing that part of her talent, that's part of her thing. Like, that's what she has. Oh, yeah. That new show, Next Great American Band. Yeah. You know, where they're trying to find a new... Yeah. Johnny Resnick, the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls, is one of the judges. And here he is reviewing Britney's new album.
Next great American band judge, Johnny Resnick, a surprise listen. We've got a new artist out right now. I want to play a little snippet for you. You tell us what you think. I like it. Do you know who it is? Probably you. That's Britney Spears. That sounds cool. What does Simon Cowell think? Cut seven. Do you think she's going to sell millions? I think the record will do fine. What does that mean, Simon? Fine. Fine. Fine. Way to go out there. What a good review. Take a stand. Yeah. Way to take a stand. Hey, I don't know if you guys heard about this one, but apparently there was a guy posing as a firefighter, and he was in Ramona's guy? Fallbrook. Fallbrook. And what do you mean? by posing as a firefighter? Like, did he have on the whole getup? Well, they said that he had on a shirt that said firefighter and then had a badge and had a patch with his name on it and a tag from the Morongo Valley Fire Department. Where did he get that? I don't know.
Yeah, and so I guess during the Rice Canyon fires up in Fallbrook last week, he went behind, drove past a barricade, and then started laying hose across the roadway, which got in the way of the firefighters, the real firefighters, actually fighting the fire. And at that point, that's when the firefighters are like, dude, who are you? What are you doing here? And he was taken into custody, and then he was in court yesterday. Here's the prosecutors. Cut 39. I'd also point out that when the defendant's vehicle was searched, there was a baton, a law enforcement type baton that was in the vehicle, which is illegal. Yeah. Like some people, every once in a while I hear stuff and I go, well, how did they get that loopy? Like, was there a day? Like, was there a non-loopy on Tuesday? And then they woke up on Wednesday and suddenly it was like, all right, loopyville. Right. Or was it a slow process of loopy, like getting a little bit more loopy as the months went on? How do you get to the point where you got police batons, the badges, the badges, whatever place you said fire department's uniform? Right.
but only from the waist down. So he pled not guilty to felony possession of a deadly weapon charge and then four misdemeanors including fraudulent impersonation of a firefighter, unauthorized entry of a closed disaster area, interfering with firefighters, and giving false information to a peace officer. They set bail at $250,000. What a nutball. $250,000. What's 10% of that? $2,500? $25,000? $25,000? Isn't that 10% of that? No, I think it's $2,500. No, no, no, you're right. $25,000? Yeah, $25,000. Yeah, we're really good at that. It's going to be $25,000 for that guy to get out of jail. Get the abacus out. So the good thing is I think he's staying. P1 Brew. Yo. What's up? Hey, I was wondering, what's George Dekai think of Britney's new album? I thought it was wonderful. Oh, wow. I've never grooved to anything like I've grooved to this one. What's your favorite hit? Well, what I mean by groove, I mean drive around on roller skates nude. Here's my favorite track. It's called Freak Show. This is my favorite track from the album.
I dance like the Heineken robot to it. Oh, okay. That's different. This is your favorite. Absolute favorite. Wow, George. I can't get enough of it. I really like to bump this one in my H2. Anybody want to hit a beer bong with me? I'm in a Korean hip hop band. You are. Yes. But you're not Korean. Well, whatever. Okay. All right. Who am I to judge? And I was trying to get them to accept this as the song that we come out to. Because it's very Korean? Yes. Okay. I can see that, actually. But actually, Sky, they're so sold on the song that you danced to at the 28-hour show that I was over
Bad idea. By the way, how do my pigtails look? Do you like them? Good. Thank you. By the way, a very outspoken PETA member is responsible for a dog's death. Wait till I tell you who this is. I am a fat nerd and it's really okay for you to say hello. Eddie. Hey. How much do you think this radio station would sell for if they sold it, Clear Channel? $17. $9.99. See, I disagree.
I think it would sell for millions and millions of dollars. What? Everything's broken, Mike. I didn't say what you guys think it's worth. Well, does it come with a warranty? Are you asking what the Kelly Blue Book is? What's a Kelly Blue Book on KIOZFM? Probably like $15 million. Yeah, I would request a home warranty with this radio station. KIO! They wouldn't give it to you. No. And so you'd walk away from the deal. Well, yeah. But they couldn't give it to you. They'd be like, yeah, you know what? Let me... We'll look for that. We'll look for that. They couldn't give it to you. What I have found in my radio career is that... It's a Mikey show, by the way. What I found in my radio career is that the bigger the market and the bigger the deal the radio station is, the more of a turd it is in terms of equipment, the way it works. Just a turd. When I worked in San Luis Obispo, the 166th market in the country... Yeah. It was the most beautiful studio I've ever seen. Are you serious? State of the art. What's that about? Ash, it blew this place away. Like, it embarrassed this place. Are you kidding? Oh, yeah. It was gorgeous. What I would give. You know why? Because the people that, like, own those radio stations, it's not like Clear Channel or CBS like it is here in San Diego. The big state. There's three big companies here in San Diego. Clear Channel, CBS.
And Jefferson Pilot. Those are the three big radio companies here. And they don't exist in some of these little tiny towns. Right. So the people that buy the radio stations, those little tiny towns, they go, we want to be like the big guys. And they think the big guys have their stuff together. Right. And so they buy all this beautiful stuff. Like, remember, Eddie, when we went to the radio network in Rochester, they weren't radio people. They bought what they thought. was good radio, and it was state of the... It looked like Star Trek. We had technology that didn't hit radio for another three years. Are you kidding me? When we walked into the building... Let me tell you something. This radio network we worked for in Rochester, New York, it was built inside of an old church. They bought the church, and they built a radio network inside of it. When you walked into those studios, it was like walking onto the set of Star Trek. That sounds cool. Back then... carts were pretty standard reel-to-reel machines stuff like that and carts look like little eight tracks yeah they're like eight tracks well we had something that was brand new to the industry called digi carts which were basically like mini discs oh yeah yeah you know and and me and mike walked in there and we were like whoa yeah and that didn't hit the radio market for another two three years but right now here at this radio station that i'm telling you is worth millions and millions of dollars i can't play a cd
A CD. I can't play it. The CD machine is so out of date and such a piece of junk. So antiquated. I can't play the CD on it. I finally got it going. You're hearing it now. Finally got it going. Congratulations to me. I'm surprised we still don't have record players in here. It's the truth. So, happy Halloween. That's why the scary music. You know, I'm trying to get into using the new scary music. You don't like it? No. It's not as good as my standby. There we go. I agree with you. I like Sean's scary music. Oh. No, not that. Not that? No. Not that? Stuff that he plays. Oh. We're going to actually be doing Sean TV here in just a second. It's a brand new thing that we're going to be doing. But before we went to break, I told you that there was a very outspoken PETA member that's responsible for a dog's death. Wait till you hear this story. Okay. Remember yesterday we were, and you may have missed this, but yesterday we were telling you this despicable story of the woman with the one-legged woman. The woman with a wooden leg. Paul McCartney's ex-wife is this woman named Heather Mills. Heather Mills? Yes. It's not Captain Jack. That is not her name. No, come on. It's not Captain Jack Sparrow. That's silly. Long John Silver? No. Captain Heather Mills? No. Captain Heather Mills.
Come on, guys. Eileen. All right. Get it? I heard she's Japanese and her name is Irene. Oh. Okay. Back to the story. Anyway, Heather Mills, you know, is a very outspoken PETA member. Animals, animals, animals. And how dare you? How dare you? How dare you? Okay? All you meat eaters and you fur wearers. How dare you? Like, I remember one time, didn't she, like, bust into J-Lo's, like, corporate headquarters in New York and had to be dragged out of there because J-Lo wears fur and her leg fell off? Yes. It was a debacle. Oh, no. That is true. Yeah, it's true. Her leg actually fell off. How many times? Yeah. Whoops. What? Listen, I've been a very outspoken... A very outspoken talk show host about Heather Mills because when she divorced Paul McCartney, she wanted billions of dollars of his. And I didn't think it was fair. You know, I said to myself, listen, they have a child together. That child should be taken care of. And I also believe that he has such a tremendous amount of money that it wouldn't be such a big deal for him to make sure that they're well off as well. But what she was doing was just over and above.
You were hearing these stories about how Paul McCartney was physically ill over what she was doing to him. It was sickening. It was awful. She just held a birthday party for her four-year-old daughter, the daughter of her and Paul McCartney. How much did she spend on this party, Sky? $200,000. And what kind of stuff, Skye? Paint the picture. Well, it was a Disney-themed party. So, of course, they had to have all the live Disney characters there. They had to set up an outdoor movie theater for the kids. Theater. Of course, catering and balloons and cake and all the normal stuff. And then also a $20,000 fireworks extravaganza. Jeez. Well, guess what? Some of the fireworks. Killed their neighbor's dog. Oh my gosh. Yeah, that's right. Miss Peta herself. No way. Heather Mills McCartney is responsible for hiring a firework company. Not telling her neighbors about it. And it...
scared the dog so bad that the dog what did it do sky have a coronary or something yeah the dog went into shock and died are you kidding yeah the neighbor is really upset the neighbor said everyone else around here lets people know because it's a very rich big you know neighborhood everybody else lets people know if they're planning fireworks so they can move their animals or give their animals sedatives she calls herself an animal lover but she showed no respect for the animals around here can you imagine wow Whoa. Can you imagine? And I mean, I'll bet that you're not going to hear a word from PETA. Oh, of course not. You know what I mean? Right. But I mean, the woman that's so outspoken about it. That's not fair. How can PETA not say anything? That's a good question. Like, that's so jacked. That makes me discredit. what they represent but why would they say anything it's like why would any organization um bring negative attention to themselves like if they're questioned about it they'll probably acknowledge it but they're not gonna bring negative attention to themselves no company or organization would do that true that's crap all right it is time now
For our first ever... Oh, yeah. Please. Sean TV. Sean likes watching his TV. Whatever Sean likes sounds good to me. Whatever Sean likes, well, you know that it might be not as gay as something. Watch by Mikey when he's watching. You know he's standing up. He's ridiculous. He's standing up. I was hearing that for the first time, and I'm offended by that. But, hey, listen... What are you going to do? It's funny. It is funny. And accurate. Okay, all right. It wasn't bad. It's not bad. It's not going to get carried away. The idea behind Sean TV, for those of you that are new listening to The Mikey Show, you know, there's seven people on the show. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, and Zeth. And Sean is a little kooky. Sean's a little kooky. What?
Little? Yeah, he's a little cookie. He drinks milk occasionally and he puts salt in it when he does. Sean likes to warm up his yogurt before he eats it. It's more viscous that way. What about marinara sauce? Oh, I don't even know what that word is. Oh, that's a good one, Ashley. Sean eats marinara sauce right out of the jar. Just pop! Opens up that vacuum seal, sticks a spoon in, and just starts eating it. Yeah, because nobody eats marinara sauce. Maybe he has the marinara sauce and the yogurt, like, confused. You're supposed to blow up the sauce and eat the yogurt. I don't have him confused. I don't always eat it that way. Maybe you do. We never asked him, do you heat up your baby food before you eat it? I'm glad you reminded me. Ashley, every day Sean eats baby food out of the jar. He never said he heats it up. Anyhow, he also watches a lot of television. And by a lot, I mean everything. He literally watches He watches everything available. And so we said, why don't we do a thing where we have Sean review one of his different shows every week. And so, Sean, today, what show are you going to be reviewing? Today we'll talk about a reality show called I Love New York 2. What network? This is on VH1.
which had the Bret Michaels Rock of Love, the hit show Flavor of Love. Now isn't I Love New York a spinoff of Flavor of Love? Yeah, it features a woman named New York. She's nicknamed New York. Her real name is Tiffany. She was on the original Flavor of Love and Flavor of Love 2. And she was such a great personality that they decided to give her a show of her own. I Love New York. So there was never an I Love New York. It just went straight to I Love New York 2? No. No, no. There was an I Love New York 1. Season 1. Season 1. So she was on the two Flavor of Love shows. They liked her so much, they gave her her own show, I Love New York, and now this is the second season of it. I don't want to bog everything up too much, but I don't know what these shows are, so what is it? Bachelor. This one is a reality show. It's like The Bachelorette. where you have one woman in New York and several guys vying for her affections. What happened? I Love New York won. She didn't find the right guy? Yeah, she found a guy, and like it happens a lot, they didn't really connect outside of the context of the show. Okay, okay. Zeth just sent me a Googled image of New York. Yeah, how about that? He's got some oomph. Wow. What up?
Flavor. She recently had plastic surgery to give her a little something up top. So she's looking pretty good. I will say this. I will say this. She really has beautiful red hair. Is that natural, you think? I'm sure it is. Well, I'm asking if that's natural because she's African-American. I think her mom is Irish. Okay. Okay. Well, then that would explain her red hair. But people will probably know her. She's most famous for the first season of Flavor of Love where one of the other girls named Pumpkin spit on her during the final elimination ceremony. Yeah, I remember hearing about that. Now, I'm being a serious question. Does anybody go by just like a normal name like Renee? No. No one does. No, they're all nicknames. They all have nicknames. All of them. On this season, there's Buddha. 20-pack, It, Midget Mac. There's a midget on the show. There's a midget. The midget is sick. Yeah, he's really cool. There's Punk, Pretty, TaylorMade, The Entertainer, Mr. Wise. He's rattling this off the top of his head, by the way. How come we don't hear more about this? It sounds funny. I've read about it quite a few times. Is it good reviews? They really like the flavor of Love Show. I Love New York is just...
I don't know. I mean, it's not like a bad-reviewed show. Wait a second. Hang on just a second. What? When we were flying to New York the last time on JetBlue, you know how it's got DirecTV on it? Yeah. I think I saw the finale of the first I Love New York. Oh, I think you did. This just hit my head. I think you mentioned that. And was it on the final episode? Didn't the guy that she picked? turn her down because she disrespected his mother. Yes. And he waited until the final episode to be picked, and then he was like, you know what? I don't want you because you disrespected my mother, and you are nothing but a uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh. And then she started bleeping at him, and the whole thing, it just turned into a... I don't know if that was the... I don't know if that was the actual final, but that was near the end. It was one of the craziest things I'd ever seen on TV. The show is really crazy, and for my money, right now it's the best reality show on television. Are you? What? Whoa. Yeah, yeah, it's really over the top. Isn't her mom, like, crazy, too? Yeah, her mom is also on the show. Her name is Sister Patterson. Sister Patterson? Yeah, Sister Patterson. Is she a nun? Patterson. No. Oh, okay. I guess I should say Sister Patterson. Okay. So she's on the show, and she helps New York figure out, you know, which of these guys are.
good for her, and she actually has a section of the home where the quote-unquote mama's boys stay. She has her favorites, which are the mama's boys, and they get a special room in the house where they can stay. But to give you an idea of what type of person New York is, they went out on a group date. She went with a couple of guys, and they went to like a mud bath, and this is what she had to say when they arrived at the mud bath. I don't want to dip myself into a big old swimming pool of mud. It's not a A place where a woman that wears weed and fine jewelry should go. And I'm not going to get into that water. Oh, God. I'm so hungry. Let's eat. Oh, no. Wow. That is. And. Wow. Something else. Anyone who calls it jewelry, they're all right in my book. Yeah. When is it on? It's on Sunday nights. I love New York, too.
Eddie, just for a little context here, while you and I and many people we know are watching Sunday Night Football, Sean's watching that while doing laps in his living room. All right, so can I tell you the one big moment of the show? Yes. All right, so the big moment of the show was when TaylorMade, who is kind of the favorite guy in the house right now, he's a white dude. Do you like him? No, he's like... He's a snitch. He rats out the guys. He's always going, sneaking behind their back. Everybody in the house hates him. So no one likes him but her? Yeah, nobody likes him but her. And you don't like him? I don't like him either. Who's your favorite? I don't like a snitch. Who's your favorite? My favorite is probably Midget Mac. Okay, nice. Yeah, he's pretty cool. So anyway, so he got in a fight with... He's pretty cool. No, I can't. So he got in a fight. Come on. Oh, that's great.
Why are you rushing through this? I'm trying to get to it. What do you want him to do? Ashley wants to save her every moment. I don't blame her. Is that the deal, Ash? It's good. He's rushing through this. I feel he's doing a great job. I'm just trying to give it a little bit of energy. Go ahead. Alright, so anyway, so earlier in the show, Buddha and TaylorMade got into an argument that led to Buddha head-butting TaylorMade and eventually grabbing him by the throat and throwing him up against the wall. Because of that violence, New York had to kick Buddha out. He was gone. Buddha was actually a pretty good guy. So... So fast forward, Mr. Wise and TaylorMade are talking about this incident. Excuse me. They're talking about this incident, and TaylorMade was rattling off some BS, this, that, and the other thing, and it was really pissing off Mr. Wise. So they got into a little bit of a confrontation. Mr. Wise... Come on, come on. I'm enjoying this. Mr. Wise stepped outside for a minute because he wanted to beat the...
Hell out of TaylorMade. So he goes outside, takes a breath, but he keeps getting more and more angry. Yeah. TaylorMade is on the phone calling his mom, telling her something. I don't know what. What? Mr. Wise comes back in and he gets in TaylorMade's face. Taylor May gets so mad that he spits in Mr. Wise's face. Oh, wow. Holy cow. Which is like one of the worst things you could do. Right? So here is the audio leading up to the spitting, the actual spitting, and then Mr. Wise saying that he's going to murder Taylor May. Oh, my gosh. Let me tell you something, man. Don't ever in your life say that to me again. You hear me? Come on. We know. Come on. Come on, bro. Don't you dare hit him, please. I saw you wanted to. Come on. I love New York, too. Wow. Yep. Day also says displaced CVS Pharmacy customers unable to get to their local CVS can visit any other CVS Pharmacy to have their prescriptions filled. Well, that's that. I'd get rid of that one. Yeah, I just had to throw that one away. I would throw it away. Yeah, I just had to throw it away.
Before I went to break, I said that Owen Wilson, who just tried to kill himself a couple of months ago, is rumored to be dating a huge celebrity. And the huge celebrity is Jessica Simpson. What? Shut your mouth. Wow. That's for real. Yeah, and I mean the paparazzi is all about it right now because they've hung out a couple times in the Santa Monica area, most recently at a hotel met and hung out there for a little while. And so you'll see paparazzi pictures of like a tiny hint of Jessica coming out of a car and then Owen's car pulling up after that and a tiny hint of Owen pulling out of the car. But there's like bodyguards with big old coats trying to block them as they get from the door of their car into the hotel. They're trying to be very secretive. Doesn't that draw more attention? Right. I mean, they're trying to be so secretive and the paparazzi is trying to get any little photo they can, but that's the word on the street. That may say something about like psychology, like her psychology. Who's she into? Like what do you mean? Well, she's into like, I think it's odd that she's into a guy who's in this mental state right now.
Well, you know, I mean, it was pretty clear that, you know, he was pretty messed up over breaking up with, what's her face, Kate Hudson. Yeah. And so you got to think that's like a rebound thing for him. For him. For him. So she should not, she should recognize that. But who is the girl who is attracted to the guy who just tried to kill himself? The fixer. The fixer? Yeah. Yes, the fixer. Is that her personality, though? I didn't know that it was. But, I mean, she's dating a guy. That just tried to kill himself. And her previous boyfriend is the biggest womanizer on the planet and I'm sure she figured she was going to change him. You mean John Mayer? Yes. So she thought that what she would do is she would fix John Mayer. John Mayer very clearly is a guy whose heart belongs to many women. I got the feeling when I was watching that TV show Newlyweds. You know how they always say that in some relationships, one usually loves the other more? Like, I definitely got the feeling that it was Jessica Simpson a little bit more in love with Nick than Nick was. Like, she was always calling him, and he was like, oh, boy, you know? Like, she was always trying to make him be this certain guy, and he was never living up to it or becoming it.
And John Mayer, good points, guys. With John Mayer, hey, this guy's a womanizer, but I will change that. Now she's interested in Owen Wilson. That is fascinating, the psychology of that to me. Okay, so we said today is Halloween. And so what do you got? You got the creepy stories? You know, we were talking about it here on the show. We have had strange events happen right here in our studio. Listen to this. What's that noise? Is it a tornado coming straight for us? Quick, get in the cellar. We have a cellar? What is that? What is going on? Sean, that's not... Is that you, Sean? I don't see... We're in the eye of the hurricane. I'm getting down over here. Wow. It's like somebody is blowing in the mic. Let me turn off mics one by one and find out who it is. It's not you, Eddie. It's not you. It's not you, Sky. I mean, it's not our guest. It's not Sky. It's not Ashley. It's not Rob. It's not Sean. And it stopped. That. No.
That's happened a few times in the studio. Last time it happened about 4 o'clock in the morning on the 28-hour show. That was the creepiest. That was the longest, loudest one. That's crazy. Jay from Promotions really seriously was like, he was considering leaving because it scared him so bad. 570-1053. Happy Halloween. P1 Chelsea, are you there? I'm here. So what happened to you? Okay, so my parents moved. to Kansas and they moved into this old 1900 house. And when they moved in, the attic was just, it was never redone. It was just old and not livable space up there. And in their basement, they had all this cement, but in the corner there was a dirt spot. And I guess in that town, they used to say that the women that had lived there originally, that's where they buried her. And so they've had all these creepy things in their house. And we went back there in July. And they had redone their attic. So we stayed up there. And up in the attic, they had this other little loft part that's like a little play area. And I would hear stuff all night up there. And I could barely sleep. So I actually would take Benadryl to fall asleep. What kind of stuff? What kind of stuff would you hear? Just like the toys moving around and like footsteps.
steps, and the scariest part was I had my four-year-old son with me, and the next morning when we had woke up from the first night that we stayed there, he asked me, he said, Mom, who was that big fat lady watching me while I sleep? Okay, no way. Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm freezing cold in here. It's actually normal temperature. I'm freezing. Oh, my. That was awful. What did you say? Awful. Nothing. I asked him what she looked like and he just said she was an old lady and she was fat. And I asked my mom to look up to try to find some pictures of the lady Little Witch and she hasn't found any yet. But there's stuff that happens in that house like on a daily basis. TVs being turned on and off. Stuff being moved around. Things missing and then popping back up. Meisters are so used to it now that it doesn't really phase them anymore. But every time we go back, I can't sleep up there anymore. So it's really scary. Wow. Really scary. Thanks for the call, Chelsea. That's awful. I told the story about in May, when we went to Maui, we rented an old house. And first night we were there, we were trying to get Jake used to the sleeping on a different time zone. Because he, you know, Maui's three hours behind.
And so he wanted to go to bed a lot earlier than he was used to going to sleep. And Rebecca said, well, this first night, we've got to keep him awake. Otherwise, he'll never get used to it, and it'll be miserable the whole time we're here. So he said, okay. So she said, if he wakes up, we've got to just let him cry. I said, okay, fine. So he's crying, and I said, what do we do? She goes, well, let's just let him, and let's just try to go back to sleep. And she falls asleep immediately. And I'm laying there in the dark in this house while Jake is crying in this room. And all of a sudden, and I'm telling you that this is the absolute truth, my hand to God. Extremely quietly in that room, I start to hear the sound of a woman singing in Hawaiian. And I swear to you, as soon as it started, Jake stopped crying. It startled me. Jake stopped crying. And I hear this singing real faintly. I've told this to people before. There was not an immediate sense of, well, there was never a sense of fear, but there was this sense of like, my eardrums are really hearing this sound right now. Like I was just really aware of my sense of hearing. Like, I'm really hearing this right now. And Jake stopped long enough because it was like, as if somebody started to talk and you stop. And then he started crying again. And it definitely...
wigged me out a little bit but you guys know like my I think because of like where I am with my sense of faith or whatever it just like it wasn't something that was like I'm out of here whereas Eddie knows before forget it man we would have been right out of that joint but then the next morning I'm taking a shower and as I'm getting into the shower at my feet peripherally I see a little dog and I look down and there's nothing there but I'm telling you there was a little dog there There's nothing there. So this is only the first night that we stayed at this house, and I don't mention it. I mentioned it to my mother, but I didn't mention it to anybody else. The last night that we're there, my dad says to me at the dinner table, he says to all of us, he says, I think Cruz visited me last night. And I said, what do you mean? Cruz is an old friend that we have that's buried in Maui. Because my father was with us. Our whole family was with us. It was me, Rebecca, her mother, my mom, and dad. And my dad says, at this dinner table in this house, we're running around. He says, yeah, I think Cruz visited me last night. I said, why did he say that? He says, in the middle of the night, last night, I was laying on my back asleep, and I felt little fingers go up my chest. And I looked at Rebecca, because I had just experienced this stuff a few nights before. I looked at my mom. I said, Mom, tell Dad what I told you the other day.
And I could tell my dad was uncomfortable at that point. Like he thought he had a dream or whatever. Yeah. Because he sat straight up in bed when it happened. But after we shared the story of the woman singing and that whole house, I'll put pictures of it on the internet. The whole house was these little tiny antiques and glass cases. We were back home. I was laying in bed and I thought to myself, that house right now is empty. P1 Marcos. What's up, gang? Go ahead, man. I was about eight. We were moving over into San Marcos. As long as it takes my mother to bring a box into the bathroom, drop it off, come back out to the truck and get another one. By the time she came back, there was a brand new pack of Bic ink pens that were open and all hung on the doily-style shower curtain in the bathroom in a matter of ten seconds. Wait. We found out later. Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Stop. Wait, wait, wait, wait. The shower curtain has little... The shower curtain was...
doily style so it had little holes in it yeah yeah well you know it's like the decorative doily outside shower curtain okay and and she came back and it was my brother and i were kids there was nobody else in the house as long as it takes her to drop the box off come back into the truck and grab another one they were all hung on the shower curtain individually pens like what like ink pens like ink writing pens so you're talking about like the cap where that tiny little thing is that was hung it by the cap tag they stuck that through the doily and hung it All of them, randomly. Every pen in the box? Every pen in the brand new bag, and the brand new bag was sitting right there. Thoughts? How do you explain that? How do you explain that? Well, I think it was, we found out later, it was a deranged journalist named Lori Ramsey. Are you kidding me? After all that? That's the most terrifying story I've ever heard. That's the most terrifying story I've ever heard. That doesn't even make sense. Can that ghost read the news? Oh, my God. So much better. Are you kidding? Are you kidding? Come on. We had us. We had us the whole time. Whatever. That's brilliant. Hey, this is a pretty good one. This is a pretty good one. P1T, are you there? All right, tell me your story. All right, I'm a former Marine. I was in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004.
We don't know what that means. Explain what those things mean, unless it's just not important to the story, in which case, leave it out. You got to explain what they are, bro. you could actually, like, see heat signatures from people's body heat. So I was scanning the desert on my post with that, and I saw, you know, what seemed to be the heat signature from a person. So I called in to the corporal, the guard, say, hey, there's someone approaching. And I put on the other ones just to make sure, and there's no one there. But as soon as I put on the NVGs again, there he is just pacing back and forth. And we had an actual squad go out there. to check it out, and there's no one there, but I could still see them while they were out there. Whoa. While they were out there looking around at an empty space where there is no one, you still see this guy pacing back and forth? Yes, and I gave it to my sergeant so he could see as well, and he saw it as well, and just...
The hairs on the back of our skin just crawled. Oh, my. What was the guy dressed like and wearing? Well, they could only see the heat. Yeah, you could only see the heat signature of the body. The red. All you could see was... If you were in a dark room, I could see you, just your heat signature. You know, it was like... Like a silhouette. You know what he's talking about, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, my question... The red type stuff. So my question is, as these guys are walking around, how close are they to what you're looking at? They were right there in front of it. And they were yelling at me through the little walkie-talkies we have. And they're like, where the hell is it? I'm sorry. And they were kidding. And then the sergeant was like, this right there. He was like, nope, there's nothing there. Wow. That may be the creepiest one yet. It's too bad we're not at a campfire. Oh, man. Have a s'mores going. I don't know if I can handle it. Were you super afraid at campfire ghost stories? See, I'm not... I'm not scared of ghosts. I'm scared of, like, shock. So if we, right now, we're at a campfire situation, what I would be dreading would be going to bed because I know one of you jackholes would sneak up at my tent in the middle of the night and, like, start shaking it. And that's what I'm really scared of. Who would do such a thing? This next one's pretty good. P1 John? Up in Lake Arrowhead, there's a place called the Arrowhead Villas. And this place was built on an Indian reservation and was then purchased by Al Capone.
Eddie's already shaking his head because he's freaked out. I don't want to hear it. Eddie's already got a look on his face and says, this is scaring me already. I don't want to hear it. about six or seven of us in the living room and a big mirror in the living room and the dog actually was sitting in front of the mirror and we all seen this Indian boy appear and it scared the dog so bad he ran away and did not come back for a week. That is a trip. Scared the dog so bad the dog didn't want any part of the place anymore. No, and this is something that still to this day people who move in there still see this little boy. Thanks for the call, man. Yeah. I remember when I was a kid, and we lived in Yuma. Every town has its haunted house stories and all that stuff, right? Right. And here in San Diego, we've got the Whaley House, and we've got even rooms at the Hotel Del Mar. There's always stories. Well, if anybody's from Yuma, Arizona, they may remember this, but there was always... And it was something that they would talk about on the TV stations as a fun thing every Halloween.
And it was the story of the little girl on Orange Avenue. And what the story was, was that there was a house on Orange Avenue. And whenever there is a murder or whenever something bad happens, you have to disclose it when you're selling a house. Well, this particular house on Orange Avenue in Yuma, they had to disclose it. And because they disclosed it, nobody wanted to buy it. And part of the reason that they didn't want to buy it besides the fact that something horrific had happened there was the fact that it was old and ugly and run down and it just looked terrible. And the deal with it was that this house every year was a topic of conversation around Halloween because people saw a little girl standing in the front window of this place from time to time or so legend goes and blah, blah, blah. And ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, right up until a photographer in Yuma. Thought he captured her image on film. No. And to this day, I'm upset that that image was ever shown to me. All right, it's time for Little Cheaters Hotel. Oh, man.
Cheaters Hotel, this is going to be a weird one because if it does turn out to go the wrong way, it's always going to be remembered as, yeah, it happened on Halloween. Here's the deal. Cheaters Hotel is, if you suspect that your husband or your wife or your boyfriend or your girlfriend is cheating, you can go to our website, mikeyshow.com, and you can write us an email telling us what you think is going on. And we'll get you on the air, and then we will call the person that you are suspicious of. Now. Somebody asked me one time, don't you feel bad doing that? The truth is, if somebody is cheating, I think it's a good idea that you know. It's going to save you a lot of heartache. Oh yeah, a lot of wasted time too. So in that regard, no, I don't. I feel that it's doing more good for somebody than it is bad. P1, Colleen, are you there? Hi, Mikey, I'm here. All right.
Colleen, we got an email from you and... About Bruce. It's about Bruce. Your boyfriend's name is Bruce. Yeah, it's been three months. I know it doesn't sound like a long time, but things can move really quickly when you're the right people for each other, you know? All right, I'm going to ask you some questions, okay, Colleen? Okay, sure. You've been dating three months. Sure, mm-hmm. And his name is Bruce. Yeah. How old are you? I'm 26. 26. And how old is Bruce? 28. 28. Something is up with Bruce. Everything was perfect. It was fine. It was great. But, you know, the fire last week when he was evacuated, he was one of the people who had to be evacuated. And this is what really freaked me out and caused me to be really disturbed. He didn't contact me. I didn't know where he went. He could have stayed with me. But, I mean, he didn't even tell me where he was being evacuated to. And I just think something is up. And now I'm really nervous. He wouldn't tell you where he was evacuated to?
No, I mean, he didn't tell me. I didn't know where, I couldn't get in touch with him. I was really terrified. That's really weird. I think so, too. Well, see, and this is one of those situations where I go, sometimes you don't really need Cheater's Hotel because you hear enough to where you go, well, what are you thinking? Yeah, like, was his cell phone ringing? Was it going straight to voicemail? Like, what? Both. It would depend. So sometimes it would give you the full, like, whatever, four rings, and then other times it would just be straight to voicemail? Yeah. Okay. I couldn't get him. Eddie, what do you think? I think it's strange. There's got to be some sort of story behind, like a reason. Like you don't just not tell somebody that you care about. What was his story? What would he tell you? I'm sorry, what? So what was his story then? What would he tell you? How did he explain the fact... He didn't communicate at all. And finally, I reached a mutual friend of ours and said, yeah, he's fine. He was evacuated. He's safe. Well, have you talked to him since?
No. What? Wait, what? This is weird. Okay, because I was going to say, Mikey, like, you know how we weren't, we were very encouraged not to use cell phones during the fire. Right, right, right. So that would make sense, maybe, if he was specially evacuating, not to be picking up his phone, maybe. Yeah, but it's, you know, like I said, sometimes when you know, you know, when somebody's messing around. I mean, I just hope it was just all the stress and the horror of what was going on, but I still have to find out for sure. I'm sure it's not cheating, but it just, it's weird. Okay, well, here's what we're going to do. Colleen, I'm going to tell you right off the bat that I don't feel good about it. I don't feel good about this one, but we're going to call Bruce for you. Here's what we do. We're going to call Bruce, and you already know this, but for the benefit of people that have never heard Cheaters Hotel, the way that it works is I'm going to call Bruce. I'm going to tell him that I'm calling from a hotel, and I'm going to offer him a free night stay at the hotel.
I'm going to tell him that he's going to get a free basket of champagne and strawberries. And I'm just going to tell him that I need to know whose name he would like put on the gift card along with his own. If he says Colleen, then you're in good shape. If he says a name other than Colleen, it's not so good. As I tell people every time, You need to stay quiet until the point that he says a name. When he says someone's name, if he says your name, you can speak up. If he doesn't say your name, you can speak up as well. But please do not cuss. That's the only thing I'm going to ask from you, Colleen, is do not curse, okay? I don't curse anyway. Okay. All right. Hang on the line, okay? Sure. When we come back, we are going to give this guy a call. Sketchy, man. Yeah. She still hasn't actually spoken to him? That's so weird. Why are we calling? I know. This is going to be so awkward. Yeah, okay. We'll do this next. The Mikey Show is on. Wyoming is booming with jobs, and businesses are looking for workers. Take advantage of the opportunities waiting for you. We got a call from Colleen. Colleen, are you still there? I am. Okay. We are going to be calling your boyfriend, Bruce. If you're just tuning in right now, Colleen said that it's been a pretty hectic time with the wildfires. Her boyfriend, Bruce, basically was acting very strangely. Just kind of disappeared when the wildfire started, which scared her like crazy. Because she's not hearing from him. And she's blowing up his cell phone. He's not calling her back, which I think we can all kind of admit is not cool. Yeah. And she still has not heard from him. But she's asked mutual friends who say he's fine. And she's like, what is going on? I think we all kind of get it. But she would like us to do Cheaters Hotel to confirm.
Colleen, we're getting some phone calls about it. P1 Stu, are you there? Yeah. Go ahead. I just wanted to let this chick know that she might be making a pretty big mistake because there was a time for about three days that tons of friends and family were trying to get a hold of me, and there was a lot of lines and towers down that, you know, a lot of phones haven't been working. What do you say about that, Colleen? I mean, it's encouraging in a way, but I'm still, I don't understand why he couldn't. Find a way. It's still upsetting. There's got to be. There had to have been some way it could have gotten through to me, especially by now. Phones were working yesterday, so I don't know. I mean. Email, text, something. Smoke signal. Carry your pigeon. Yeah. Anything. That's a good one. All right, Colleen. We're going to call them. And all I'm going to tell you is you need to stay very quiet.
until he says a name when we ask what name he'd like to be put on the gift basket from the hotel we're offering him. If he says your name, if he says Colleen, you're probably all good and he's just a strange guy. And if he says a name other than Colleen, it's probably what you are suspecting and what I think a lot of us are suspecting. But I just need to ask you to watch your language, okay? Yeah, I told you I don't curse. All right, hang on the line. Sorry. Calling Bruce. Hi, could I please speak to Bruce? Speaking. Hi, Bruce, my name is Steve. I'm calling from the Orion Hotel, San Diego's newest premier high-rise hotel. We're located in the heart of the gas lamp. How are you this morning? I'm good. Did you say Orion? Orion Hotel? The Orion Hotel. And someone you know entered you into a drawing that allows you to spend one evening for free in our hotel, courtesy of Orion Promotions. There's no obligation, and you need not purchase anything at this time. Does that sound good? Yeah. Is this a telemarketing call? No, it is not. You're not obligated to buy anything. And all that happened is that somebody was at a shopping mall. They entered your name into a drawing.
You won. And what we're going to do is extend to you a gift that we're extending to all of our guests that have won this promotion. It's a complimentary champagne and strawberries gift basket. And I just need to inform you that at this time, you'll not be responsible for anything. However, at the time of check-in, you would be responsible for all room incidentals like the mini bar, phone charges, and things like that. But nothing else. Nope. You'll give a credit card when you check in, but it's only going to be for telephone calls and incidentals and anything that you would drink from the mini bar. And my information doesn't go on any kind of mailing list? None whatsoever. We don't release your name to any third parties at all. Okay. That sounds... Wow. Okay. And you have up to... Who put me on the list, by the way? You know what? I think that information will be available the night that you check in because they'll have the card. But I don't have that information in front of me. But you have up to 30 days to pick the night of your stay. Other than that, we just want you to enjoy your room courtesy of the Orion. And all I need to get from you is the name of the guest that you'll bring so that we can put it on the card and print it on the card. Okay. Name is Rebecca. Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. I need to interrupt you. Colleen is on the line. Rebecca!
I need to let you know that this is the Mikey Show, this is Cheaters Hotel, and you're on the radio, so I need to ask you not to cuss, Bruce. But your girlfriend, Colleen, was suspicious that you were cheating on her, and she had us call you to find out if you would give her name or the name of someone else, and you gave someone else's name. Bruce, I don't know how you asked, and we just sort of voted to each other. I was terrified during the fire, and now I don't think I can. I was trying to even deal with this after being so worried about you during the fire and not hearing from you. This is horrible, Bruce. Bruce, she told us that you didn't call her at all during the fires. Yeah, what a dick move. Why'd you turn to sleep at night? She couldn't. I don't understand. Why did you do this to us? Not just to me, but to us. Why did you do this? Bruce, can you explain why you didn't call her? Am I on the radio? You're saying I'm on the radio. Yes, it's a Mikey show. Do you know the show? Bruce.
Just answer me. No, I just moved here five months ago, and I don't really listen to the radio. And I'm not, this is not, Colleen is not my girlfriend. What? I am your girlfriend. What? What do you mean Colleen is not your girlfriend? What? You're not my girlfriend, and you need to stop leaving messages. I'm a machine. You need to stop calling me. She says she's been your girlfriend for the last three months. Yes. You guys broke up? We went out. Twice in three months. What? That can't be true. Okay, we went out twice. Get out! Two bad dates. Dates? Dad, why would you go out a second time? Who doesn't believe Bruce? I almost don't believe that that's true. This is insane. I'm really confused right now. Why would you go out a second time, Bruce? What?
If you're saying two bad dates, who goes out for a second bad date? That doesn't make any sense. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Colleen, is that true? So she's acknowledging it. Colleen, is that true that you guys have been on two dates? They were bad dates. What the hell is this? Wait a second. Well, Colleen, did he ask you to be his girlfriend? What is going on? This is not good. Are you kidding me right now? My head is spinning. So is Bruce a liar or is Colleen like a stalker? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. She just said two dates. Yeah, she just made it. Two dates. We have this love at first sight. It makes no sense for someone to say two bad dates. If you have a first one bad, why would you go on a second one? Bruce, what's going on? Bruce. Oh, my God. To tell you the truth, I went on the second date because the first date she was crying so much that I was crying. There's nothing wrong with crying, first of all. Wait. So, Bruce, are you kind of saying that she's, like, semi, like, kind of crazy stalker chick?
I'm not saying semi here. I'm asking, you know, I'm asking her to quit calling me because I'm getting messages every two hours. I worry about you. What did we get involved in? Notes on your door. What do the notes say? Stop calling me. What do these notes say that she leaves? Are you okay? I'm worried about you. I'm fine. You went on two. me. Colleen, you went on two dates and when you wrote this email, Eddie, let me see the email. I can't believe that you didn't call me. Okay. First of all, this email is like a novel that she wrote. That's why it caught her eye right away. It was crazy. Basically, the email just goes on and on about how in love they are and how much she loves him. She's worried about him. She's worried about him. He hasn't called back. I was. He hasn't called back. Okay, but now, question, question, question. So, Bruce, Rebecca, new girlfriend, girl that you have gone out with a few times. Like, who's Rebecca? Rebecca is a woman I've gone out with a few times who is now, yeah, pretty much my girlfriend's.
No, that's not true. Colleen, he just said it. That's not true. He's just making it up again because he likes it. Bruce, did you ever say to Colleen anything about girlfriend, boyfriend? No. In fact, I... It was understood. Oh, man. She's crazy. Good night, and I said good luck. I really hope... You are Colleen Walnuts. She likes... P1 anti-psycho chick is on the line. Are you there, anti-psycho chick? P1 anti-psycho. How you doing, Maggie? Go ahead, anti-psycho. I gotta go. I'm gonna come by. Is that enough? It's Halloween. Wait, wait, wait. What is she saying, Colleen? What did you say? She says, I gotta go. I'm gonna come by. I'm gonna come by and see Bruce in person because we don't want to deal with something anymore. Do you hear the way she's talking? Do you hear this? She said, I'm gonna stop by his work. She's hung up. She says, I'm gonna stop by his work because we... don't like to communicate like this. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Are you there, Bruce? I'm there. I'm here. Did you hear what she just said? I couldn't hear over skies. She's going by your work, dude. Yeah. She's going to your, she wants to talk to you. Split. She's going to your work. Girls like that are psycho. Oh my, what is going on? Who's talking? The P1 anti-psycho. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. P1 anti-psycho. Okay, wait. Let's try to straighten this out. P1 anti-psycho, are you there? Yes, I'm here. Okay, what did you want to say?
True story. Women like that are absolutely psycho. I'm not saying there aren't guys like that, but Bruce needs to split. I had an incident one time dating this girl. She was a freak. I wanted to split. She tells me she's pregnant. She starts taking multivitamin pills. She's rushing to the bathroom, sticking her finger down her throat, making it look like she's puking. She's got morning sickness. When I finally did it, what she did in the bed is she squeezes some ketchup bottle, makes it look like she... I got you, I got you. You don't have to go any further. But anyway, I can relate. Thank you, anti-psycho. Bruce? That is not okay. Dude, and I'd like to say, I know you said that you just moved here like a couple, like five months ago or whatever you said. That chick is not representative of all women in San Diego. I feel so bad for you. Just women of PB, but not of San Diego. He moves to town, gets evacuated from fires, has a stalker. What a fun five months he's had. I can't believe that you didn't call me. Sean. Bruce, we're going to let you go. You may want to start documenting some of this, Bruce.
See you later, man. Yeah, if you need the MP3 of this whole call, you know, let me know. That's a good idea. I can send it to you for evidence. You really hurt me. Now that I'm putting it all together in my head, that's why I've been sitting here just like, I'm replaying in my head everything she said when we were talking to her. That's brutal. And then it, oh, that is so not all right. P1 Thelma. Yes, Mikey, this broad is nutty. Like, who falls in love after three months? A crazy person. Two dates, Thelma. I know, I know. I'm just like, this chick is seriously out of her mind. Thank you, Thelma. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. Yeah, go ahead. She sounded a little crazy, because remember, you're all, don't cuss, and she's all, I told you, I don't cuss. I know, she's like, oh, I don't cuss. I told you already, I don't cuss. I'm not a hothead. You're like, relax, take your Prozac. That was nuts. Hey, by the way, speaking of tomorrow, we find out if Boston Rob's a dad. That's right. On top of all of this crazy girls talk, he finds out later today, and then we're talking about it on the morning show tomorrow. Whoa. P1 Josh. Don't remind me. Josh, go ahead. Well, I just want to say that this guy should probably be walking around with a bulletproof vest and checking his brakes on his car before he gets in every day.
Out of that movie Poison Ivy or something. She's in her car right now headed to his work. Total Poison Ivy. You should have had him call back when she got there. Thank you for the call. It's a legitimate reference. I was. I liked it. Rob, how are you feeling right now? Do you know what time? Are you just supposed to call her? She's supposed to call you? Listen, listen. Can I... Quick update. Wait, wait, wait. I got to catch people up. Yeah. Boston Rob. Good friend of ours. Phone screener. 24 years old. Girl that... He knew in Boston, lived here in San Diego for a while. They were friends with benefits. She moved back to Boston. This was a while ago. And she has called him and said that she had a kid and says that the kid is Rob's. And Rob has a girlfriend now. I'm happy. I got a solid job. I got a girlfriend. Things are going well.
Red Sox are world champions. Okay, hold on. About that. My wife, by the way, was talking to your girlfriend the last time you guys were over. And it's like how upsetting it is to your girlfriend now. Oh, for sure. Yeah. But we've been waiting for this for a long time because Rob submitted a swab from the inside of his cheek. And they're doing a DNA test, and the results of the test are in today. Yeah, you guys will all be getting a text from me a little afternoon today, because I have to call them afternoon our time, because it's back in Boston. So what were you going to say about the World Series? Do you guys remember, you know how superstitious I am? Do you remember when that P1 asked the question, if I'd rather have the Red Sox win the World Series or the kid be mine? Yeah? Dude, you picked the Red Sox winning the World Series. Hold on. That won't leave. I didn't even think of that. That won't leave my head. And you know how superstitious I am. Congratulations on two counts. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. What? Hold on. Oh, my God. Listen, and normally I'm like... Little Poppy. No. Eddie, Eddie, can I just talk for one second? I was so confident, but I'm so superstitious that I picked the Red Sox. I didn't figure... You made a decision.
You did. No. No. What did I do? You guys know who the singer Rihanna is? She sings that song Umbrella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Yeah. She just got kicked out of a wedding. What? Yeah. And I'll tell you why and what she did and what happened next. It's Mikey. On the rock. Efficient. Yeah. That's the word I'd use to describe Pacific Honda. Okay. Let me explain. At Pacific Honda, you've got it all under one roof. Awesome customer service, huge selection, and believe me, I checked, they know how to price their cars. What more could you want? They sell the most Hondas in San Diego for a reason, which makes them the most efficient. See? You're following me. Check them out in Kearney Mesa or from the convenience of home at PacificHonda.com. Pacific Honda, for all the right reasons. Justin? Yes. Are you there? Yeah, this is Justin. Tell me your AIS story. Oh, this is great.
I've been listening to Mikey's show for a while, and I've been hearing AIS this, AIS that. So I called him up two nights ago, and the guy told me that he wasn't going to be able to probably not meet my deal with my current insurer. So he called AIS. They said, we don't think we could probably do better. He said he probably couldn't, but he beat him by $50. I'm saving $584.12 a year with these guys. I have a great driver's record. That's pretty awesome, dude. Yeah, they did it. That's pretty awesome. See, so the AIS thing is for real. Yeah, definitely. You know, I didn't know what to believe, but I called them up just in case, and it's working. There you go. Thank you, Justin. All right. Well, thanks, Mikey. I really appreciate it. I appreciate you letting me know, dude. All right. Anybody that wants in on that can do it. 1-800-777-4AIS. 1-800-777-4247. You have to play games all day. You've got to make up the rules as you go along. You need to stop adults and ask them if their refrigerator is running. And once you've read the comics, where do you throw the rest of the newspaper? There's did, did not to keep going all day long, paper airplanes to make, puddles to jump, bird nests to find, truck drivers to wave at, and all without stepping on a single crack. With so much to get through in a day, at Kaiser Permanente, we say give kids all the help. You help them to eat, sleep, and live being a kid to the hilt. And by that we mean eat well, sleep plenty, and live active. So no squishy thing goes unsquished, and no stone goes unskipped across the pond. If you were a kid, you'd ask why. And if we said because, you'd ask why because. And we'd say, because we're Kaiser Permanente, and we want you to thrive. So there.
It's been another rough ride here this morning. Fog net helping our commute at all, but things are easing up a little bit, especially in this 94 King Freeway. That got in trouble early on. Now you're going to find a minor delay left over from 32nd Street into downtown on this freeway. Westbound 8, still pretty tough, though. From La Mesa Boulevard, those brake lights stay with you all the way in past the Q in the Mission Valley, all the way to Mission Center Road. And now you've got a bit of a backup through Hotel Circle to the 5 Freeway because the 5 is still busy. Coming out of downtown, northbound all the way to Mission Bay. 805 north out of the South Bay. That's pretty tough still, man. From 8th Street and Chula Vista, snow and go all the way through North Park. A heavy ride again now out of Mission Valley as you come up towards Murray Ridge. From there, it struggles through Kearney Mesa all the way to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. South 15, that's a rough one as well. Coming out of Escondido off the 78 to be a Rancho Parkway. Backs up again through Rancho Bernardo. And now you're going to find a bike up around Carroll Canyon Road from an accident near Miramar. And south on 7 to 5, that's a struggle from Acadia Boulevard, solid to Manchester. I'm Rick Lawrence with traffic on Rock 105.3. Say hello to the Mikey Show. Oh my gosh, hello. Featuring Mikey. I'm telling you that I believe that I would be the best person to change your diaper. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it, that's a flaw in my character. Sky. I'm a wealth of knowledge. Sean. Um...
Kids, it's really difficult. Teaching myself to speak. Myself on my sleeve. The Mikey Show's on. I have three. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 835. The El Cajon Police Department has posted pictures of local prostitutes on their website to help keep them off the streets. The local sports marketer files a lawsuit against Reggie Bush and his family for accepting gifts and cash. That was one of the, easily one of the weirder cheaters hotels I've ever heard in my life. Hey dude. Real quick, I keep getting calls from P1s. Like, I was on the lines that whole time, so I didn't get to hear exactly what went down. But they were saying, like, Bruce knew Sky's name, and he said he never listened to the show, so I don't know if, like... I was thinking that, too. How did he know my name? No, I caught that, too. And you know what happened was you had P1 Anti-Psycho Chick up and Bruce up. And Anti-Psycho Chick thought you were talking to him, so he was talking. Oh, yeah, I heard that.
and he was the one who said sky. Yeah, that was the P1. Yeah, because they were talking at the same time. We had a P1 on the line the whole time. Remember, that's when I was like, hang on, everybody, hang on. I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized it was P1 anti-psycho. I was on the line, so I didn't get to do that. Thank you, though. That was crazy. It's so bizarre. Yeah, I would, if I were that guy at work right now, if I were Bruce at work right now, I'd evacuate again. Seriously. Got something serious for you. My son is in here right now. Rebecca brought Jake. That's the greatest outfit I've ever seen. He's dressed as Yoda. Should we put that picture on? Put the picture on so people can see Jake dressed as Yoda. So cute, man. Yoda's drinking out of a bottle right now. A little force juice. There he is. Look at that. Bottle drinker. I want to do something. This is actually a serious thing that I want to do because we all got this email yesterday and you talk about our hearts going out to a friend of ours here in the building. This really, really touched me. Some of you have heard us mention Omar. Omar works in the promotion department here at Rock 105. Honey, I want you to hear this too because you know Omar.
He wrote me an email that says, Hey Mikey, it's your promo guy Omar. I'm writing to you in desperate need from Thornton UCSD Medical Center. My brother Esteban has been fighting leukemia for a year now. Over the summer he was in remission, however, due to a chromosome defect. The doctors urged us to get a stem cell transplant and we did on September 4th. The transplant has been a failure. It's been one complication after another, after another, after another. The past couple of weeks, we've been battling his failing kidneys and liver, and now a hemorrhage in the brain. The doctors are going to operate, but due to his low platelet count, platelets are what help the blood clot, it's a very risky surgery, and he may bleed to death. The doctors say that even if the surgery is successful, his liver is so bad that there is no hope for him to live anymore whatsoever. I say there's still hope. There's God. Mikey, I am on my knees and begging you, please, to use the power that you have on the radio to inspire and ask San Diego to pray for him. I know San Diego is in desperate need right now, and my family's prayers are with San Diego. But we want to ask if San Diego's prayers and yours can be with us. I cannot live without him, Mikey. He is not only my brother, but my best friend, my companion, my confidant, my other half, my yang.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to be that happy promo guy everyone knows me to be without him. Mikey, please help us pray for a miracle. With all the love in my heart and soul, your promo guy, Omar. Omar's a great guy, man. He's a great guy. And earlier I was telling you about a friend of our family named Cruz. Cruz died of leukemia. I have his name tattooed on a cross on my leg. I lost someone too to leukemia. Leukemia is a terrible thing. And here is what I know from my faith, and that is that we don't get to make the decision. God makes the decision whether or not he stays or whether or not he goes. However, Omar's right. We can pray about it. So I've always told you that I believe the power of prayer is really, really powerful.
So I'm just going to ask everybody listening that does pray to pray. Sky gives good vibes, so you can give good vibes. It doesn't matter who you are. You can either offer prayer, good vibes, whatever it is that you do. But I know that we're in a time right now where everybody's trying to recover from these fires. And let me tell you something. The Mikey Show has got wheels in motion. to try to help with that fire relief. We're doing something gigantic on Friday with the rest of the Clear Channel stations down at Qualcomm to be able to help with that. But I don't think that anybody listening missed those words in that paragraph. Mikey, I'm on my knees and I'm begging you, please use the power that you have on the radio to ask San Diego to pray for him. It's just a guy who's just absolutely in love with that brother of his, who's his best friend, his companion, his confidant, his other half. And so I'm going to ask everybody that does pray or put out the good vibes to do that for Omar and his brother. Now, his brother's name is Esteban, and he is at Thornton UCSD Medical Center. And so I'm definitely going to pray for him, and I hope everybody does too. Just a real sad thing.
We're sure hoping that he gets better, man. We sure hope he gets better, and we'll keep you updated. But I'm telling you, the power of prayer is very, very powerful. I don't want to go directly into other stuff right now, because what I read you was real heavy, and so I want to take a timeout if we can. Can we, Eddie? Yeah. So let's take a quick timeout. I will tell you this. Nicole Richie is not going to invite Paris Hilton to her wedding. They are on the outs again. Wait till I tell you what Paris did that upset her. But she's not invited to the wedding and it's pretty heavy duty. I'll tell you after this. Arnold, we are the decorators. Oh, I didn't call any decorators. And you're nachos. The Mikey Show continues featuring Mikey. I love cars. Eddie. I think I'm immune to Captain Morgan's now. Sky. I am the Google Oracle. Sean. I think about death all the time. Boston Rob. I'm getting real big into jujitsu. And Ashley. I want to eventually join a hip hop group and like perform on the weekends. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. How weird like that Mike. Well. Well, this was one of the good outtakes. She was drunk in a lot of the takes. Don't say that! I heard that was true. It's not true. Welcome back. It's 8.50. Britney Spears had another custody hearing yesterday. The judge granted her visitation with her voice three days a week. Kat Schilling says goodbye to Boston. Doesn't think he'll return to the team. Yeah.
Nice knowing you, Kat. What do you care, right, Rob? I'm not going to miss him. He's always going to be a Red Sox in my heart, but he's kind of old, and he did his thing with us. Wow. Hold on, hold on. I'm not saying I don't appreciate him. So hurtful. I will always be a fan of shillings. Always. There you go. Well said. Just like Trotny. Just not anymore. Well said. Earlier I said Rihanna got kicked out of a wedding, and I wanted to tell you why. What was the deal, Skye? What'd she do? So this was back in Barbados because that's where she's from. So that's where all her family and friends from growing up, that's where they live. So she was invited to her cousin's wedding over the weekend. And so first off, she shows up and, you know, I haven't seen pictures, but from what I read, in a very slewty dress. People at the wedding said that they were shocked to see what Rihanna chose to wear to the wedding. Every time she moved, her breasts looked like it was ready to come loose. They go on to say that the bride's family is extremely Christian, and dressing like that is definitely not something that they approve of, especially to a family function like that.
Maybe don't wear a bra next time. And then when it was time to eat and everyone was served food, Rihanna had had, I guess, one of her assistants bring her her own special food, and she wouldn't eat what they were serving at the wedding. And so I guess between the dress and the diva food thing and being a celebrity, it was just completely distracting from the bride. So finally, some family members went over and told her, hey, you know, I think it'd probably be best for everybody if you left. Okay, so right before we went to break, I said, Nicole Richie's not having Paris Hilton to her wedding. And we all know that they have a history of not getting along, and it seemed like they got along. But even the reconciliation was kind of, like, uncomfortable. Yes, totally. Like, you never felt they were the same. You never felt like they were good friends again. And these are two girls who have known each other since they were four years old. But when they got to be friends again, it was weird. I don't have an eating disorder. I didn't say you did. No one said I have an eating disorder. No one's infusing you, Nicole.
I don't have an eating disorder. So apparently they're on the outs again. And the reason is because, according to reports, Paris Hilton had a very serious sit down with Nicole about whether or not the good Charlotte lead singer Joel Madden was really the baby's father. Paris thought it was her place to have a sit down with Nicole before actually tying the knot saying, hey, are you sure this is what you want to do? Are you actually sure that he is the father of your child? And that was offensive. You're saying that that was offensive, too? And Nicole freaked out. There were some F-bombs dropped, allegedly. And Paris has been... She knows Nicole, which is even worse, you know. Terrible, man. Because I don't think anybody believes that it's not his kid. It's just that Paris is like... It's like a double whammy. It's like, A, I'm accusing you of something that probably isn't true. And B, the reason I am is because I know what a ho you are. Right.
So Paris has been permanently removed from the guest list. Hit the bricks, pal, and beat it because you are going out. There it is. How much do you want to bet they'll make up again and she'll be like the maid of honor? I don't know, man. It took forever for them to make up. I think they keep making up because they don't really have any other friends. Who's going to be in Nicole's wedding? Who are her friends besides Paris? This ought to be good. Tom Cruise was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Talking about trick-or-treating as a child. Cut 15. Now, you came back in time for Halloween. Is that a big holiday? Do you go crazy? Huge. Huge in our family. We love it. We love it. I'm still kind of... I'm a little late on my costume, so I've got to figure that out tonight. Oh, yeah. Pause. Yeah, day behind. Pause. Okay. There's a bit of the Jeff Garcia thing going on. He's piping. He's piping. I went to high school with Jeff Garcia, and Jeff Garcia is a great guy. He's a guy that he's actually been through an awful lot of personal stuff in his life, and he's persevered over it. Oh, no. What happened? He bonked his head. What happened? Where'd he hit his head, babe? Baby. Where'd he hit his head? Okay. Persevere, little guy. Did you see where he hit his head? Yeah, he just bonked it on the thing. On the leg of the thing. I'm sure that AJ's Playhouse and Dave Shelley and Shane saw a little enjoy that. Well, I'm sure Kogo loves that. I feel like such a jerk.
No. Why? Well, because she's freaking Kogo's probably going. Well, yeah, I don't understand why Kogo isn't in a studio anyway, because they're like kind of in these open cubicles. Well, they are. Do they have a studio? Yes. They do? Yeah. Well, what are all those open people in the cubicles doing? Because they're the ones who always get mad. They're the news gatherers. Oh, then why are they mad? Chill out. Well, anyway. Okay, so back to Tom Cruise. So Tom Cruise has a bit of the Jeff thing. Jeff. He couldn't help it. Jeff had a high voice. And so when he talked, he talked like this, and he would do some radio interviews, and he'd talk like this. Wait, real quick, did he talk like that in high school? Is that how he talked? Yeah. Okay. That's just his voice. Okay, that's what I think. It was very high. Yeah, it was a high voice. Now, me personally, I swear to you, I never thought that the voice sounded gay. It just sounded like... Sounds gay. To me, this is gay. Hey, how are you? What's going on? How are you doing? Hi, what's that? What's the deal? Yeah, but when he would call plays, he would sound like that. Well... But because the voice was high, when he was playing for the Niners and I was working up in the Bay Area, that was kind of a running joke. And then it wasn't...
got worse when Terrell Owens called him a homo or something, right? Basically called him out. Yeah. And I know Jeff, and he's not gay. Anyway, Tom Cruise sues people when they say he's gay. He gets real upset when people say he's gay, which is weird because, like, you know, usually that rumor will float about just about anybody in Hollywood for about five minutes, and usually the person laughs it off and it doesn't come up anymore. And to me, there's been a lot crazier rumors about Tom Cruise that he doesn't go lawsuit happy. He keeps his wife, Katie Holmes, locked in a room. There's crazy stuff. I guess he's like, well, that's ridiculous. I guess. But this whole gay thing, that could be true. That could be true. In reality, I could be gay. Well, if you listen to old movies with Tom Cruise, his voice is...
It's a lot like the Jeff thing. It doesn't sound like swishy or anything. It's not like, hey, girl. It's not that. It's just higher. But ever since the gay things come out, and you hear Tom Cruise talking in interviews, he definitely does this thing. And I saw an interview with Garcia on the NFL Network the other day, and he was like, you know what, guys? It's just real good to be in this position right now. Where I could be helping people out and helping this team to win. And you're getting that thing with Tom Cruise. With that in mind, let's hear the clip again. All right. Now, you came back in time for Halloween. Is that a big holiday? Do you go crazy? Huge. Huge in our family. We love it. We love it. I'm still kind of, I'm a little late on my costume, so I've got to figure that out tonight. Really? Yeah, day behind.
Now, what would you go as normal? Like when you were a kid, was there something you would do every year? Liberagi. Superwoman. My first Halloween, I was Casper the Friendly Ghost. I was a belly dancer. Carmen Miranda. I know. I remember I went to... I rang the doorbell and... The woman with the candy, handed out all the candy and invited me into the house. I was about, I don't know, three and a half years old. So, you know, you're three and a half, you've followed the candy. Right, right, right. So, I was in her house and she was making me hot chocolate and I realized that I didn't take my mask off and she thought I was actually her son. Oh, that's the point. She thought I was her son. So, my mom, you know... Hey, this woman's giving me a bath. What's going on here? What's going on? What's going on? I will bet that he is so uncomfortable in that interview, Tom Cruise. Absolutely. I just get the feeling that he's real uncomfortable in interview situations. So he's playing like a Nazi in this new movie, Valkyrie. So he's talking about being in Germany, cut 16. We spent a lot of time in England before, but to be able to spend time in Germany, it was
It was a great experience. Now, do you adapt well to food? I'll eat anything. Yeah, I'll eat anything. You put it in front of me, I'll eat it. Here's my impression of being here. Very simple, very simple. I didn't order this. That's me. Yeah, but I like the cheeseburgers, you know. I like cheeseburgers and fries, so. But that doesn't sound German to me. That doesn't sound like you're getting the full experience. I know, but they delivered on that, too. Can you order a cheeseburger in German? What do you say? Do you know how to say it? Can I have a cheeseburger, please? Oh, is that a lot? You know what? It's amazing. They speak English over there, too. Really? They have color television. Yeah. Yeah, you know how you order a cheeseburger in Germany when you're Tom Cruise? Hey, Marty. Yeah. Can you get me a couple cheeseburgers and fries and give me a shake and hustle up, boy? Yeah. Can you make that in and out? Yeah, exactly. This is a tasty burger. Can you fly to Florida real quick? It's called a Royale with cheese, okay? Oh, yeah. That's right. What? Oh, no. Yeah, a royal with cheese. Ash, can you hear me? Don't start. It didn't get fries in mayonnaise. No, come on. I'm serious. That's disgusting. Hey. No, it's delicious. Get the quote right. Hey, man, you just shot Marvin in the face. Pulp Fiction as Ashley never gets old. But why? Why is it?
always Ashley, and why is she every character in Pulp Fiction? It's good. It's just good that way? It just works. Okay. It tastes good like that. Alright. It tastes bigger. Alright. I love you, honey bunny. No! Did you guys know Larry Himmel, the dude that his house burned down here in San Diego? He was on the Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday. Holy cow, really? Yeah, the guy from Channel 8, he's a reporter. And he was on Ellen DeGeneres' show because his house burnt down. And so here he is, cut 23. I guess you're in shock at that point. But the emotion you must be feeling when you're watching your entire life go up in flames. I mean, you know, like you said, other people are experiencing that. But you're standing in front of it reporting and watching that happen. And that must have felt like... I mean, that kind of energy must be just devastating. I wish I had a game plan, but your adrenaline's pumping so hard, and the fire department was nice enough to pull me up to the driver. And when you see that live shot, there are two firemen about 20 yards from me with hoses in case something came falling down, crashing down.
And the cameras rolled and you talked. And I couldn't tell you what I said. Was the family watching on TV or how did they find out? Well, my wife knew we were going back in the area. She started calling. And she said, are we okay? And the first call I said, I'm not sure. That's real smoky. And as I got close, she called again. And she said, how's our house? And I said, turn on TV. So she's watching you reporting in front of the house. And I wished at that moment then that I was with them. That's terrible, man. That is, you know, and I think all of us can relate to when you call someone or when you're doing something, you go, hey, how is it? You know, it's almost like a given. You're going to hear everything's cool. Thank goodness. You know, everything's fine. The last thing you're expecting is no, it's gone. Like you just don't expect to hear that. You know what I mean? But anyway, that was yesterday on Ellen's show. Now, this ought to be good. This I got to hear. Did you guys know that Bill O'Reilly sent a camera crew down to Rosie O'Donnell's book signing to talk to her about her crazy 9-11 conspiracies? Did you guys know that? That's awesome. I know. I want to hear it so bad. So here's what happened. The crew, I guess, just comes in there and starts up with her. Cut 40. No, you're not.
I'm with Bill O'Reilly. What do you mean you're with him? I work for Bill. He wants to know why you won't come on the show. It seemed like I had such a good time last time you were on. You're always invited. Bill, is your name Bill or Jimsy? This is for Bill O'Reilly. Oh my god. Is that what you do? You go around to book signings? No, we want to meet you. We want you to come on the show. He knows how to find me, the guy? We've called you a hundred times. I don't want you to call me. If Bill wants me, he should phone me himself. He's a big boy. He's a grown-up. So you're saying if we call you, you're going to call him on the show? This is Bill O'Reilly's camera crew. But don't throw him out because it makes it all worse when he puts it on, you know, the Bill O'Reilly no spin zone. Rosie, he wants to know if you regret saying that 9-11 was an inside job. I didn't say that. He's quoting the wrong people. Okay, that's enough. Thank you. Thank you. That's enough. You said not to throw him out. Let's go. Sir, enough. No more filming. Stop. Stop. Eddie, that's what they want you to do. Yes, sir. Could you put down your camera? Could you turn it off? Rosie. Could you turn it off? I'm around one. I've been in TV for a long time. Can you turn the lens down? To the floor? The lens.
and on the she would never answer the question about nine eleven that's all the boys regrets any imposition on this o'donnell's time but she does have a responsibility to her country to be honest and stop providing comfort comfort to terrorists and others who would harm americans and their own family does he have a responsibility to the country? Is she like a politician that I didn't know? Is she the president? You know, here's the thing from my point of view. Bill O'Reilly, like he's a conservative and I'm a conservative, but I don't dig that stuff. I'm just not a fan. I used to be. I used to be a fan. Now it just creeps me out. Now I go, eh, get her on the show and talk to her. Get her on the show and talk to her. But I guess the idea is she's not coming on the show. Say that. Hey, I've asked Rosie O'Donnell about a million times to come on the show. She won't. I think she's a coward. She made these comments about 9-11 and she won't come on and talk about it. But this idea of somebody being at their book signing and getting bombarded with cameras, ambushed is...
I mean, come on, man. Well, props to Eddie for having her back. Yeah, Eddie, I heard you in the club. Listen, I finally had enough. You know, I mean, enough was enough. Get out of here, you camera guy. You're not going to turn your lens down? Then fine. Eddie, Eddie, let them go here. I know. That's what they want, Eddie. Rosie, I'm upset. Eddie, it's what they want. I know, but you know what? This is ridiculous. I've been in television for a few years, Eddie. No. You? What was that? Jump in any time, Eddie. These are good topics. I told you this earlier. I watched the Dancing with the Stars thing because my wife taped it and the girl did fart. If you don't know what I'm talking about, on Dancing with the Stars two nights ago, this beautiful girl named Jillian who's a professional dancer who dances with the guy that's Mario Castroneves. Is that his name? Helio Castroneves? Helio. Helio Castroneves. Helio is what you blow balloons up with it. Children's birthday parties. That's helium. Okay. Maybe that's what she was blowing. Potato, potato. So, Helio Castroneves is her dancing partner. And afterwards, they're getting judged. And in the middle of it, when you play the audio back, you can just hear it ever so faintly. It happens about five seconds in. You got the audio, Sean? Yep.
Play it. And if you like their cha-cha, then get up off of your thing and vote for them. Call, text, log on to abc.com. Do whatever you have to do. Remember, none of our stars... It seemed very explosive, like a balloon pop, like a pop. You have to see her body. See, when it happens, she's like laughing like this and her body's shaking. And I'm sure her muscles in her stomach are doing this little sort of tensing thing. So embarrassing. Poor thing. And... And she's immediately embarrassed because she just farted on television. Well, yeah. Well, there's people behind her. And they start laughing and clapping. There's no hiding it. I just, like, do they all talk about it? Oh, absolutely. They do? No, no, no. I mean with her there. Like when they go to break? Yes. Does she engage in conversation? Well, I think she has to at that point. Like, oh, my God. I can't believe. I can't believe I just.
past the wind. I can't believe it's not butter. What? Where? Eddie? That's what I would have said. Okay. You're telling me that during the commercial break what you would have said to diffuse it is you would have said, oh my gosh, I can't believe it's not butter. Is that weird? Yeah. It's a little strange. Last night there was an earthquake up in the Bay Area. Sean lives in the Bay Area so Sean felt it. Chill town. Wow, chill town is shaking. He who dealt it felt it. What? I did not dealt it. And so, last night on the news, after this 5 point what? 5.6. 5.6 earthquake, people started to call in to the television stations. Cut 37. Tell us what you felt. I was sitting in the family room on the couch, and it felt like I was swimming. And I said, what is this? And I looked at my flowers. They were going crazy. My chandelier was going crazy. My daughter ran in. She said, Mama, am I drowning? It felt like we were swimming. And then I was all, Cannonball! That's right. Cannonball! I said, throw me a light raft. Get all these swimming trunks. All right, P1 Matt, what's your question? Yeah, since it's Halloween, I was wondering what everyone's favorite scary movies were.
You're wondering what everybody's favorite scary movies are. Okay, we'll come back, and I'll tell you what everybody's favorite scary movies are, all right? Sounds great. All right, so hang on, and we'll take a quick timeout. When we come back, we'll tell everybody what everybody's favorite scary movies are. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 9-16. Authorities announced that a boy playing with matches started the fire up in Santa Clarita that destroyed 21 homes. Pay attention here, fantasy footballers. Packers running back Deshaun Wynn is done for the season, placed on injured reserve. They've added Korn Robinson to the roster. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Lance Armstrong? Apparently he's going out with one of the Olsen twins.
That's nuts. No way. That is a true story. Dude, no way. That is a true story. That can't be true. Which one, Skye? How old are they? They're 21 years old. He has been seen around town, and around town being New York, with Ashley Olsen. How old is he? 36. So 15 years older. I have a question. I have a question. Yeah. Wow. What's the problem? Exactly. I have a question. Did anybody say there was a problem? Well, I think that there was a... Immediately, I think all of us, myself included, were like, wow, he's dating one of the Olsen twins. And then I realized, wait a second. She's 21 years of age. She's not only an adult. She's old enough to drink. She's old enough to... To me, on paper, that 15 years is a little much. But the Olsen twins, I think their souls are probably like 50 years old. They're older than he is. Yeah. I don't know. Well, together they are. Why, Eddie? Because they were little kids on The House? Yeah, I don't think of them as 21-year-olds. Right. And he seems older than 36. I thought he was the gay one, too. But apparently not. No, but you're thinking of Lance from... You're thinking of Lance Bass. This is the one-testicle bike rider. That's true. The guy that won the Tour de France, he always wears a yellow. One ball.
One ball. One of the Olsen twins is now on that show Weeds that I watch. It's weird seeing them in that kind of more adult context. They're making out with them. They're grinding on each other. Selling pot. Yeah, selling dope. What is her character all about? Um... She's like kind of a holy roller, but believes in smoking dope. It's really weird. Yeah, she believes something like Jesus used hemp oil on something, so that makes it okay for her to smoke weed. And to sell it to other people in the church. Yeah, so she's dating the eldest son on the show. So is the show Weeds about just people that sell weed? No, it's just... Oh, go ahead, Sean. Okay, it's about a woman whose husband died and left her with two kids and a giant house, and she couldn't figure out any other way to pay the bills except to start selling dope, and that's what she does. Huh. So, okay, so there's that. Also, we brought this up yesterday, and I kind of want to bring it up again.
A good friend of ours, I mean Eddie and I, we know this guy that we met. Eddie and I have been best friends for 20 years. We lived in Rochester. That's where I brought Eddie into radio. Initially, you went out there to go to college. You were going to go to school. Got into radio. I never went to school. The guy that, one of the owners of the place, of the radio network that we went to work for, had a son named Joe Bricato. The guy's a great singer. We've known him for years. He's got a new album out. He's got a song that's going to be in an Angelina Jolie movie. And we're going to have him come play acoustically in the studio on Monday. Well, one of the songs that he's going to do is a duet. It's actually the same song that's going to be in the Angelina Jolie movie. Let it be me. And he's going to come in and sing just because we know him and he's cool and he's a friend and he's going to sing and it's going to be fun. Has been called to you. We're looking for a girl that can do this duet with him. And you can learn the song by going to our website, MikeyShow.com. You can click there and you can listen to the song and you can learn the girl part in the song. You're a chick and you like to sing. So the way that we're going to pick is, on Friday we're going to be doing a broadcast from Qualcomm Stadium, but we can take phone calls. And in the 7 o'clock hour,
We're going to have any girl that's been listening and learning this song call us up and sing. And whoever the best one is, we'll let you come in on Monday and sing with Joe Braccato. And the lyrics are up on the website, too. So when you listen to the song, you can read the lyrics, the whole thing. And you just call in on Friday and sing. That'll be easy for you. When you call on Friday, all you're going to do is sing that female part. P1C. I recommend Sky. She's got a beautiful... Skye, this is actually kind of your tone. Thank you, C. That's nice of you to say. For the truth. Let's hear it. I would love for you to because I think it's kind of within your range. She'd kill it. That's scary. You would kill it, Skye. Well, I'll try it after the show. I'll see how horrendous it is. Try it right now.
Do you want me to start it again? Do you know it, though? Go to MikeyShow.com. The lyrics are there. Well, but can't I, like, practice once? Practice. MikeyShow.com. Listen. Here's what you do. Guy, any girl listening that wants to give it a try, just go to MikeyShow.com. The lyrics are there. The song is there. You can listen to the song. You can follow along with the lyrics. Now, I would love to hear you do it. I want to make sure we give the opportunity to a chick to be able to sing with Joe, but I want to hear you do it because I think you could. I think that that's well within your range. How about this? Friday, we'll have Sky kick off the competition. Yeah. Oh, nice. Nice job. So embarrassing. Awesome. Live at Qualcomm Stadium. Come out and see her. Sky's going to perform at Qualcomm Stadium. I'm not performing at Qualcomm. Why not? Sky in concert on Friday. You are the best.
Do it for the evacuees. Oh, no. Do it for fire relief. How is me singing this song going to help fire relief? People will come out and donate and they hear you sing. Now, Skye, listen to the chick sing and tell me if you think it's within your range. I can make you smile. I do, too. She could kill it. I think so, too. Oh, yeah. All right. That's your tone. I love it. Let's not blow it out of proportion. It's not going to be very good. Just don't do that creepy dance with it, okay? Oh, I'm going to choreograph a little something for you, Eddie. Please. There'll be children out there. That's right. It's Halloween week. Hey, and by the way, if you're a chick and you've already been practicing or you know that you're going to be involved in this on Friday, call me right now. I want to hear from you. You don't have to do it. You don't have to sing it right now. We're not going to let you sing it until Friday. I just want to know that there's chicks that are doing this. Because we got one girl for sure that said she wants in no matter what and went to MikeyShow.com.
To check it out. Hey, Sean, do we still have it set up so that it's not rotating? The first thing you see is that and it stays that way? Yes, sir. Okay, cool. So when you go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, you're going to see that the first thing that you see when you sign on to the website is this big thing that says looking for female singers. It's very easy. You click there. It'll give you the lyrics to the song. And I'll give you a thing where you can listen to the song itself. And the girl that does the best job at singing it, we're going to let her sing with Joe Braccato. Looking for female singers, what it says. Yeah, Joe's all excited about it, man. Really? It's going to be cool. Yeah, he's really excited to be able to. I think that that's kind of the whole artistic singer vibe, the opportunity to like. Jam with someone you don't know. Collaborate. Collaborate, and it's kind of cool, exciting. P1 Jenny. Yes, hi. How are you? Good morning, guys. Morning. I'm planning on calling in and singing, but I need to know what time it is because I have to take one of my sons to Bates Nut Farm. Yeah, I know it well. Know the place, know it well. We are going to do this at 7.30 a.m. on the phone.
Okay, cool. Well, I should be able to do it. Now, have you gone to the website already and listened to the song? Oh, yeah. Okay, cool. So when you call in on Friday morning, will you be able to sing the girl part of the song? Sure. Okay, cool. That's what we're looking for. All right, great. I'm looking forward to it. All right, Jenny. We'll see you. Thanks. All right. And P1C, who suggested Sky, you're going to give it a try too, right? See, are you there? So you're going to give it a try. Yes. I had a question for you. Go ahead. Yesterday, I tried to download the song and put it on a disc so you sing better in your car. But I was unable to do it. I was unable to find the song anywhere. Do you have any suggestions? Yes. You can download it from iTunes. Oh, okay. You can download it from iTunes. It'll cost you 99 cents to download it, but you can do it from iTunes. Okay. And if you're going to search for the song, the song is called Let It Be Me.
Okay. And the spelling of Joe's name is on our website where you get the lyrics. It's Joe Braccato. Okay, great. It's available on iTunes. Joey Braccato. Okay. You sing with a Joe Braccato. So check it out, ladies. Oh, man. Love to have a few ladies. Give it a shot. And Sky, of course, performing live at Qualcomm Stadium in concert. How dare you? How dare you? I mean, on Friday. Oh, good. I'm just so surprised she agreed to it so readily. It's really cool. She's kind of offered. I did? She's practically offered. Well, no, I think P1C nominated me. Sky, should we have Sky do just that opening verse? Or do you think we can get her to do the whole thing? I think we can get her to do the whole thing. Well, what are the other girls going to sing? You know, Eddie. I think that for the evacuees... You guys are dips right now. She should definitely do the whole song. People are going to come out there, donate, and expect a full song. The entire song. No, no one's expecting that. No one's expecting that. Maybe she could do one song to warm up and then do this one as the main event. Negative. Stop it. She could warm up with Jewel.
Okay? That's for the troops. I mean, I would love that, but... And then do this one for the evacuees. Ulcer. I mean, yeah. Okay, Eddie. Stop. Please stop. My tummy's starting to hurt. When you think about it, if she didn't, she would hate the evacuees. Well, yeah. Shut up. That's so not true. That is so not true. We're going out there to raise money for fire relief. So she'll start with who will save your soul. I think we're really getting something here. Sky in concert on Friday. for a fire release. Now, understand, the entire Mikey show, and as the day goes up, because it's going to be 7 o'clock in the morning to 7 at night, or 6 o'clock in the morning to 7 at night, it's going to be us, then Missy, then Clint, then Clint and Budweiser. Who? Clint and Budweiser. So I guess BC got fired? What's the deal? Hey, listen, the show's called Clint and Budweiser. No, that's terrible. I don't know who that second one is. Anyway, we're all going to be broadcasting live from Qualcomm. Section F2 this Friday morning between 6 in the morning and 7 at night. All P1s come out there and we're trying to raise money for the San Diego Fire Relief Fund. Everyone who wasn't affected by the fires, listen to this. If you were not affected by the fires, everybody that wasn't, and you donated $5, we could raise 15 mil. Whoa. So come on out there, man. This guy's going to be in concert. I'm not in concert. I might fly down for that. No, I'm not in concert. I think we can get Sean here. Let it be me.
Oh, gosh. Come on, Skye. Come on. Who sets you free? Skye, give it a shot. Give it a shot. P1 Browen. Yes, Bronwyn. P1 Bronwyn? Bronwyn. That is an interesting name. I've never heard that before. Yeah, not very many people have. P1 Bronwyn, you're going to be trying on Friday? I am. Very, very nice. 7.30 Friday morning. We're going to have you. We're going to get your phone number. Rob, did you get her phone number? Not yet. Okay, we're going to put you on hold, get your phone number, so we'll make sure that we'll have you on the line, 730, on Friday morning. And if you are a girl that is interested in doing this, call us right now, 570-1053. All you've got to do is go to our website, listen to the song. You can have the lyrics right there, too, at MikeyShow.com. And if you're interested in coming into the studio and singing with this guy on Monday morning, live on the radio, in the studio, give us a call.

You saved $1,700? I mean, that was incredible. Cut my bill in half. Who was your insurance before? Progressive. And who did they get you? See, this is the deal. This is what people need to understand. When you call AIS, they have 30 different companies that they're shopping for you. See, that's the thing. We used to have State Farm. We didn't know from
what other insurance company? We just had State Farm, that's all. We didn't call 30 different places. AIS does that for you instantly and gives you the best deal. Well, I'm glad, dude. I'm glad you saved that much money. I just had to call and say thank you, so I appreciate it. You got it. 1-800-777-48IS. You're listening to the very hilarious Mikey Show. Featuring Mikey. I don't run anywhere. I saunter. Eddie. I'm clearly the best. Sky. I never, ever spend money. Sean. I am very susceptible to supernatural phenomena. Boston Rob. I'm so athletic, man. And Ashley. I do have a lot of best friends. On Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey show. It's 937. Britney Spears' parenting coach said that Brit rarely engages her children in either conversation or play. Allie Dodgers manager Grady Little resigned yesterday, saw the writing on the wall with Joe Torre in line for the job. All right, so we told you we were going to tell you about, what is it, Eddie? Is it our favorite scary movies or our scariest movies or what is it? It was worded our favorite scary movies because if it's just what I think the scariest movie is, it's not necessarily what is my favorite.
Yeah, I think that that's true, too. You know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I think you and me and most people, Exorcist, scariest movie of all time. Well, I mean, there's just no... You can't have an opinion on that. That's just a fact. Yeah. There's no opinion on what the scariest movie... The fact is, Exorcist is the scariest movie ever. Yeah. True. Not even a close second. Yeah, of course. So... If I had to pick my favorite... I would say my favorite just because it just makes me jump and get squeamish every time. I would have to say The Thing. Really? Yeah, I mean... Love that movie. It's good. The Thing is just an all-time classic. I'm such a big fan of The Shining and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yeah, but the thing about those movies is I can't watch them anymore. They freak me out too much. So I can't watch them anymore. But I can watch The Thing a billion times. It's about space aliens. And so I can watch that a billion times. Favorite scary movie? Eddie, what's your favorite scary movie? Maybe Beaches? Yeah, for sure, man. How dare you? You're so rude. Easily one of the creepiest, scariest premises of all time. Chilly. Gosh, that's tough because I want to say the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
It's so psychological. Maybe Jaws. Really? Maybe Jaws. Because you can watch it. I love Jaws, and that's a horror movie, especially for me in the ocean. I don't want to hear the orca jokes and all that stuff, but Jaws is oof. Skye, what about you? My favorite scary movie is The Sixth Sense. It's a good one. Crazy good. Yeah, because it just was done so well. And like the first time I watched it, I didn't know. I had no idea, you know, what the hook is at the end. And so, yeah, so I always watch that and I enjoy that for many reasons. But most of all, Misha Barton in it as a little girl. Thank you. Vomiting on her son. Vomiting? Yes. Gross. Marissa from the OC. You're weird. Thanks. Sean Sean. Dude. Which one? Sean. Don't call me that. No, don't call me that. It's a no-brainer is what you're saying? No, I'm saying don't call me that. Don't taste me, bro. You know, that new movie, 30 Days of Night, it was really good. Oh, come on. He's got his name in the most recent movie. He's allowed to have his own opinion. It's not your favorite movie. No, it's not my favorite. It's not my favorite. Come on, Asinine. It's not my favorite. It's not my favorite. I'm just, I'm setting something up. Whatever, man.
It's a really good movie. It's really well done. It may eventually become my favorite. No, it's getting panned. Can I please talk? It's got a D minus in Entertainment Weekly. Oh, well, they are the experts. May I please? Sorry, Sean. No, you're not. I'm sorry. No, you're not. I am. What were you saying? I'm having a soda. Please don't have a soda. What kind of soda? Diet Coke with lime. Oh, I just got those too. Do you wear a bib when you eat your baby food? Hey, Ashley. What? It's a direct shot. I mean, that wasn't even... It's a legitimate question. It wasn't clever. It just came to me. It's a legitimate question. It was just... Well, I mean, it just came to me, but it's a legitimate question. No. I really would like to know Sean. Yeah, come on, Sean. Leave it alone. Your favorite. Your favorite. My favorite, I believe, is a movie called Event Horizon. Dude.
What? That's the worst movie. You shut your mouth. That movie is so scary. It is so not scary. It is frightening. It is. It is really scary. I think I walked out. Event Horizon? Event Horizon. It's really, really good. 5701053 with the P1s and your choices. I'm embarrassed for you. P1 Turtle just said... She has two favorites. One is The Changeling, which is a great one. George C. Scott. Scary. But she said that her favorite is Them. I think that's a John Carpenter movie, Them. Huh. What was the movie with Rowdy Roddy Piper? They Live. That's a good one. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. Almost as good as Event Horizon. Nothing. P1 Christina, are you there? Yeah, I'm here, guys. Good morning. Hi, good morning. I have one called Event Horizon. I don't know if anybody's ever seen that. It's a great movie. Shut the hell up. Honestly, she didn't hear what Sean said. She's been on hold. Isn't it scary? Oh, it was horrible. I loved it. What's it about? It's a spaceship that returns and sends out a signal of distress.
and another spaceship comes to the... Oh, yeah, I've already seen it. It's called The Thing. No, it's not The Thing, dude. It's not. Anyway. It's, like, possessed by, like, hell. Yeah. The spaceship is possessed by hell. Doesn't that sound interesting? A spaceship? And then he asked me about Devil's Rejects, so now I'm going to go see it. He says it's a Rob Zombie movie. Yeah, that movie is extremely whack. Thank you very much. It's all right. It's funny. P1 Bryce? Yeah. Which ones? It's one of two of them. It's either Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or either of the Toxic Avenger movies. Thank you. I think people thought we were doing goofy movies and I'm trying to be serious around here. We're saving that for the list. This guy's got a couple of lists, right? What do you got?
Well, I have Time Magazine, their list of the scariest movies. And then I also have one from a pop culture website where people voted to say what their scariest movies are. So I don't know which one you want. Exorcist number one on both. Well, which list are we doing? On both. What list are we doing? It's both. Well, it's not. It's number one on the ones that people voted themselves, and it's not on Time Magazine. It's not number one on either. Well, then, you know what? Well, that's impossible. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. Just get rid of the list. Okay. No, don't. Don't. Don't, Sky. I thought our producer said to get rid of them. No. He just was playing. Oh. Kind of. So do we want to do the pop culture voting or Time Magazine? Well, if it's not on either one, that's stupid. Can we just guess? And you say what list it's on? Well, here's the deal. We all know that The Shining and The Exorcist have to be in every top five. Because those are the two scariest movies ever. Yeah. Okay. So The Exorcist on the pop culture list came in number 12, where people voted. Like, why? That is ridiculous. On the Time Magazine list, it came in number 14. Huh? Oh, wow. Mm-hmm.
What's scarier than that movie? Maybe it's, like, the people that are voting are from, like, Australia or Austria or New Zealand or... Auckland. Auckland. Or other eight countries. You know, countries that, like, speak English but don't know our culture. Okay, that's weird. The Shining is not even on the Time Magazine list. Well, that is... Okay, then I get it. I know exactly what's on these lists. Is number three on the pop culture list. Where did The Day the Earth Stood Still come in? The Day the Earth Stood Still. I don't see that on the Time Magazine list. Psycho. Yeah, Psycho. Exactly. Or The Birds. The Birds. Psycho is number 10 on pop culture. Of course. And Psycho's number 10 on Time Magazine. Right, right, right. So it's super terrifying. What about Event Horizon? Event Horizon. Not on the Time magazine. Hot Dog the movie. No, I don't see that on the list. What about Nosferatu? Number two on Time magazine. Yeah, right. Exactly. I got it. And number 18 on the pop culture list. Yeah, so everybody just think real stupid. Stupid. Just think stupid and you'll get them.
Dumb old movies. Now, do you think the slasher movies? No, because these are way too smart and stupid. Friday the 13th. The original Halloween. Nightmare on Elm Street. Halloween's 18 on the Time list. And... Nightmare on Elm Street. 25th on the pop culture list. What about the original Frankenstein? Or the original Dracula? Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The original Frankenstein from 1931 is number four on Time Magazine's list. Of course. It's terrifying. And what was the one you said, Mike? Dracula. The original Dracula. Creature from the Black Lagoon. Yeah. No. No. What, Bram Stoker's Dracula is on him? No Dracula on the Time Magazine list. What a moronic list. Albert and Costello meet the werewolf. Is that really a movie? Yeah, it's really good. P1 Darren. Yeah, how's it going? Good, man. What's your guess? Rob Zombie's House of a Thousand Corpses. I'm sure it's number one on Time's list, right? Yeah. So highbrow. Yeah, no. Not on the list. P1 B-Rob Defender. Okay.
It's me. Hi, B-Rob Defender. Hello. What's your guess? I don't have a guess, but my favorite scary movie is Pet Sematary. Did that make the list? Well, that would be your guess then. Wow, very demeaning. Why did she do that? Yes, guys, really demeaning. We're sorry about that. way to say she didn't have a guess and then went on to ask if Pet Sematary was on the list. Why don't you apologize, P1B Rob Defender. You really insulted Sky. Stop it. No, Pet Sematary. We'll leave it on Friday when she embarrasses herself in front of everybody. Oh, snap. Sky, is Pet Sematary on the list? No, it is not. The only part that was scary about Pet Sematary was Zelda. Yeah. That was it. What about Alien? Alien is number 19 on the Time Magazine list. And number four. Number four on the pop culture list. And no need to throw things at me. Jaws. Jaws. Yeah, it's number one, right? Number 16 on the Time Magazine list. Let's see. And number 20 on the pop culture list. Blair Witch. Oh, yeah. Good one. That was a good one. It's too cool, though. Yeah. Maybe pop culture. Yeah. Wow. Think. Oh, the others. The others. The others. Nope.
Scary movie! How about Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Come on. That's stupid, so it's got to be on there. You're right. Number 8 on the Time Magazine list. And number 15 on the Pop Culture list. That is so stupid. What about the movie Fire in the Sky? You are... No, he did it! That's an obscure movie from the 90s about alien abduction. That didn't scare anyone? That scared me when I seen it. P1 Bud. Go ahead. I'd say one of the all-time favorites would be The Blob. Oh, The Blob, I bet, is on there. Or like The Fog. No Blob. The Fly. The Fly is number 20 on Time Magazine's list. Sean's got one. And number 13, Sean, on the Time list is Night of the Living Dead. Thriller, the video. Yeah, Night of the Living Dead is not on there? No, I said, yeah, number 13 on the Time Magazine list. No way. Too hip. Evil Dead Part 2. No, Evil Dead not on the Time Magazine list. Come on. Do you want Derek? Yes. Go ahead. Either Poltergeist or Hellraiser. Oh, Poltergeist. Poltergeist. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Poltergeist. Put it on the board. Put it on the board. Check it. Put it on the board. I'm checking it. I'm checking it. I don't see it on the Time Magazine list. Just put it up.
Let's see. P1 Knuckles has a good guess. Knuckles, what's your guess? Go ahead. Knuckles. Knuckles? What's that? Yeah, what's your guess? The original Amityville Horror. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Good one. The Omen. Oh, yeah. The Omen, Amityville Horror. We're thinking it's 70s. No. Come on, lady. The Omen and Amityville Horror are not on the list. Amityville Horror, I get it was a little, you know, campy at the time, but The Omen wasn't. The only one was scary. Oh, I got one that's stupid that would be on that list. American Werewolf in London. Doesn't deserve to be and probably is. No? What about Chucky? Oh, Carrie. Carrie is number 17 on the Time Magazine list. It's number what? 17. What's number one? Silence of the Lambs.
Yeah, Silence of the Lambs. The hills have eyes. Nightmare on Elm Street. Christine. Cujo. It. You just said P1 Eric. Sorry, Eric. Ashley stole your thunder. P1 Jerry. Hey, what about Sky's Dance? That is number one on the Time Magazine list of scariest things ever. It should be the number one on the pop culture, too. Sweet. We hope we don't see that on Friday. Thank you. Shut up. Brokeback Mountain. Skye, that made you smile. Scared the crap out of me. Never seen it. No, that's on the uncomfortable list, not the scary list. Did she just say she's never seen it? Yeah. Brokeback? That's what I said. Doesn't that surprise you a little bit? Yeah, kind of. I'm surprised you haven't seen it. She's like, well, I just haven't been in a romantic mood. Salem's Lot was not a movie. It was a made-for-TV movie. Oh, face!
Serpent in the Rainbow. Who's IMing it? She's reading a list or something. So dumb. Army of Darkness. The Serpent in the Rainbow is number 22 on the pop culture list. I don't even know what that is. She doesn't either. It's a great horror film. The Believers. Really scary. P1 Jody. Yeah. Go ahead. Deliverance. Ah, good one. The scene is the worst thing ever. Deliverance guy. Not on the time list. All right. P1 Irish. Yeah. Go ahead. Children of the Corn. Oh, that was freaky. No. No? No. She just throws a smack right down on you. But I agree, it was freaky. War of the Worlds. You know what it's going to be? It's going to be dumb science fiction movies. This is scary movies or horror movies? Scariest movies. So definitely. It'll be dumb. Science fiction. Like old science fiction. Yeah, like not relevant. Rob. He's got one, but he can't think of it. Oh, my God. Let us help you. Something, Encounters of the Third and Kind. Close Encounters of the Third and Kind. Okay, go back to answering phones. I couldn't... E.T. Yeah, E.T.
It's just going with movies that scared him. Yeah, E.T., guys. What about the Goonies? That's got to be on there. It scared me as a child. Sean, when he's a furry. Anybody? Look at Sean. He's just, he's like, he didn't even know what to make of it. Didn't even make sense. Gremlins? Anybody? Ash, still looking for anybody on that one. Is there anyone in the house? All right, can I give you the Time Magazine top ten? Yes. Number ten, Psycho. Number nine, Peeping Tom. What the hell is that? Oh, for goodness sake. From 1960. Let me tell you what Peeping Tom is. I've seen it. Let me tell you what Peeping Tom is. Peeping Tom, which, by the way, I've never heard of. Peeping Tom is probably an editor at Time Magazine's scariest movie. It's him. The guy that wrote the stupid list. It's a good movie. Oh, I got one. I got one. When a stranger calls.
Like Play Misty for Me. Yeah, Play Misty for Me, When a Stranger Calls, Black Christmas. Number eight, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, 1956. Boy, she really has a way of letting you down, doesn't she? She just breaks her heart. She's real dismissive. Number seven, Diabolique. From 1955? Diabolique. Diabolique? I don't know. From 1955? Yeah, there's a couple. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, we all know it. One of my faves. Yeah, the old classic. Yeah. Okay, everybody hold on to your seats. Number six on Time Magazine's scariest movie list is Bambi. They're a bunch of Ds. Why are we even bothering? Why didn't we bother? That is so stupid. Once you read that, why did you even continue? Ha ha! It is. It's like an editor. It's like his opinion. When I was a kid and I saw Bambi, it really scared me. Some woman goes, hey, we should consider Bambi. That scared a lot of children. And then somebody else goes, yeah. Somebody else that closed their Mac and had their square glasses on. And their L.L. Bean black turtleneck. Too smart for the room.
And their $400 haircut went, you know what? You're really right about that. Right on it. I mean, I think that movie probably scared more children than anybody. You know what? That should be in the top ten. Yeah. Let's make that number six. I agree with you, Simon. Thank you. Oh, my power cord just went out. I'm going to go in my Volvo and get another one. Number five is Freaks from 1932. Oh, boy, with that. Number four, Frankenstein from 1931. Number three, The Phantom of the Opera from 1925. Number two, we already guessed, Nosferatu from 1922. And number one is The Arrival of a Train at La Ciota, 1896. So you're on that one. Time Magazine, thank you. You know what? Honestly, I think that me and the listeners and all you guys, we should start a class action lawsuit. I agree. What are we suing for? I'm in. Bean. Idiots. Yeah. That's brutal. One of the highest rated shows on TV is considering splitting up the cast of the TV show and doing a spinoff. I'll tell you what that show is. It's highly rated. I'll tell you next. Mikey Show. A lot of people are irritated with what that number one movie was, and they're just mad at Sky. I don't blame them.
What's he doing? He's throwing mustard packets at me. Dude, I threw one and it landed on her chair and I didn't think she saw it. I almost sat down. What would have happened, you guys, if Skye would have sat down and broke a mustard packet on her butt? Well, first of all, I would have laughed hysterically. But here's the question. How long? A long time. I will say Monday. A lot of work to do on Monday. It is 1027. A lot of work to do on Monday, but that's when it will start. You don't think Friday out at the event? No way, no how. You know how I am when I'm in trouble, though. I try really hard and I don't really drop it. Let me think about this. We're saying it would happen 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Tomorrow's out of the question. Friday out there begging for her mercy.
Forgiveness. Three quarters of the way through Friday. Okay, I agree with that. Sky just gave a look like, yeah, that's right. Stupid. Would it be Monday, Sky, or would it be? Like, I can't even entertain this conversation right now. It's so upsetting. It's so upsetting. It's extremely upsetting. I don't even want to think about it. You would have wet a paper towel and dabbed her bottom. Got it off. I would have got it off. What a good time. Any hoot. Well, there you go. No more. Okay. I don't have any more. Britney Spears called in to Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning. And would you like to hear how it went down? Yeah. Now, what are we going to hear here, Sean? Hear, hear. This is... It's really weird. First of all, the interview is like... It's like seven minutes long. And it starts off by...
This friend of hers answering the phone. I think it's her cousin, right? Yeah, it's like her cousin. And they're going back and forth between this chick and Brittany and Ryan Seacrest. Now, when you say answered the phone, did he call her? He says they got hooked up to her house. So it's not like there's a dial tone. But I think they made the call. I'm not 100% sure because they don't really say. If Kiss made the call or if they called the station or what. Yeah. Let's hear it. So this is right near the end of the phone conversation. It's not Britney talking. It's this chick. Her cousin, Allie. Yeah. Unless you bring me your game day hat, like, to kind of top it off. All right, so we're live. It's 923 right now. Britney Spears' house is linked up live here. This is Allie, her friend, her friend Sam and Britney. Hey, Allie, ask Britney what she wants to say to her fans because a lot of them are listening right now that have bought this album. You know what? She just ran into the other room.
I know she just wanted to say thanks to them and, you know, she really appreciates everything and them supporting her through everything. Does she want to say it herself? Yeah, see if you can find her. Is Lance there? Lance is coming in like three minutes. Yeah. Do you want to talk to him in a few minutes? Oh, she's in the shower. So they're in the middle of a conversation and all of a sudden she just darts off and goes in the shower. Well, yeah. that's perfectly normal it's what you do in the middle of an interview when you're coked up when you're not really being interviewed dude and like cousin is and how does how does like her record label and all those people feel about so now her cousin bff is the one who's you know doing promotion for this new album who's speaking on behalf of the new album and what britney would like to say to her fans it's so brutal
That is horrendous. Well, Sean, do you know how much of it she actually was on the line for? Well, it's weird because, like I said, there's her, two other girls, and a guy, and so they're all juggling this thing back and forth. I do have some of them talking with her. Do you want to hear that? Yeah. All right. Kiss FM, and yesterday was the release of your new album. What'd you do yesterday? How'd the day go? It was cool. It was just kind of... Yep. And did you celebrate? No. We watched movies about it. So your album comes out after all this time and all this drama that we've seen in the news, and you just watched a movie? Yes. What did you watch? We forgot that it was a scary movie that put us all to sleep at like 3 in the morning. Oh, scary movie. Did you at least get takeout to take home, or did you go out or do anything like that earlier? No, we ate famous, famous cookies.
And we had fried chicken. Fried chicken and cookies. Well, yeah, Brittany, I've seen your diet just because, you know, I happen to watch the television. So I know you've been eating some good food recently. Yeah. I mean, we get to see all the drive-thrus. Oz. Hello? Hello? You there? So it goes on like that. Did you hear that? That's so weird. When Ryan asked her, because, you know, yesterday was a big court date. Oh, she got, you know, some more custody and stuff. So did you guys go out and celebrate? They all start laughing. And they go, no, we watched a movie. Oh, well, what movie do you watch? We don't remember the name. Let me hear it again. Just that part. That is so brutal. No. We watched movies about it. So your album comes out after all this time and all this drama that we've seen in the news, and you just watched a movie? Yes. What did you watch?
We forgot today. We just put us all to sleep at like 3 in the morning. Oh, scary movie. At 3 in the morning? Yeah. Like the whole thing sounds whacked out. So weird. Mikey Show. Yes, Armando. What's up, Armando? What's up, man? I was just wondering to see if you guys know about Mike Cameron being suspended for 25 games. Yeah, I wanted to go to this, but we've been talking about this Britney thing. Yeah. Yeah, let me read you what ESPN has. Excuse me? Yeah, I'm going to read to you. Just listen off the air. I'm going to read to you what ESPN is reporting. Cool. Mike Cameron, Padres Gold Glove center fielder, was suspended for the first 25 games of next season on Wednesday after testing positive a second time for a banned stimulant. Cameron, who plans to file for free agency, said he believes he took a tainted supplement. The one thing I wanted to make sure was explained is no steroids, Cameron told 1090, the Padres flagship radio station.
I never took nothing like that before in my life. That would be 50 games, and that would affect me a whole lot more. Crack is whack. 25 games? That's quite up for you. Well, it does matter. Mike Cameron's not coming back with Padres anyway. Oh, really? No. He issued a statement to his agent saying that doctors for the Players Association helped him narrow down what triggered the positive test. After all of the analysis and testing, I can only conclude that a nutritional supplement I was taking was tainted. Unfortunately, the actual supplement is gone and therefore cannot be tested. Oh, well, that's... That's a shame. Pass on grass. Without the actual supplement in hand, the rules are clear and I must accept the suspension. Why not just say it was a tainted Snickers bar? Yeah, why not? I don't have the Snickers anymore. Yeah, I ate the whole Snickers. It was delicious. I think, here's the deal. I was at a nightclub, and I think somebody slipped a tainted supplement into my drink. That happens. Some girl. Right. You never can be too careful these days when you're partying. Like I said, it would be much more upsetting if I knew he was coming back to the Padres next year, but he's not going to be resigned. He wants to play in Atlanta where he grew up, I guess, and probably will sign with the Braves.
So will that suspension carry over to the Braves? Yes. Wherever he signs. Or wherever he signs. Wherever he signs. Okay. Happy Halloween. Eddie was just telling us off the air how he likes to judge the kids' costumes at Halloween. Well, I do pretty much outwardly judge them when they come to the door by the amounts of candy they get. Yep. If I feel that their outfit took a lot of work and is creative, they will get a nice chunk of candy. If I feel it was kind of half-assed, you get one candy and a candy that I deem not very good. Wow. Like a Butterfinger, which isn't my favorite. So what would a great outfit get? Like you roll in in a sweet like Star Wars costume or something that I feel you put a lot of work in, a handful of candy into your bag. Wow. Well, what Sky and I were discussing was we...
kind of feel this whole, what is your attitude? Yeah, I do a combo. I do that too. With like the trick or treat. For me, the costume is so irrelevant because if it's a good costume, I feel the child had nothing to do with it. Even if the kid is like 11 or 12 years old, I feel that this is an overzealous parent, which is great. It's great. The parent had a good, you know, a lot of creativity. Coming up with a great thing. To me, everything is about presentation and attitude. And Sky and I were saying how it never ceases to amaze us that trick-or-treat is always, well, generally, this is the trick-or-treat. Ding-dong, you open the door and you hear trick-or-treat. If that. Oh, don't forget. No.
I don't deal with the other one. Yeah. I don't deal with nothing. Do you just stand there and wait for them to say it? Or do you say, like, what do you say? I stand there and I stare at them. Yeah. Yeah. That's awesome. And it doesn't take long. Yeah. It doesn't take long. They get it. They get it. And they are shamed into trick or treat, you know, saying trick or treat. And it's always the jack hole 13 year olds that shouldn't be trick or treating anymore anyway. And they're too cool to say trick or treat. But they're not too cool to be dressed like a little fairy standing at your door. Well, then there's the ones that don't even dress up. They think if they put a hoodie on, that's a costume. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And like a smudge of makeup. Right. Like, no way. I am absolutely familiar with these kids, too. And I'm not kidding you. I close the door. I don't say a word. I close the door. Oh, that's awesome. I would love to see that. Oh, did you want to do that? I'll videotape it tonight. I'll have Rebecca videotape it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I swear to you. This is the honest truth. I would love that. I open the door and if there's a kid standing there with a bag and he doesn't have on anything, like no costume. You're not afraid of them messing with the house? No. So that would be my fear. I would have thought. I think that they probably realize like, oh, you know, that's the percentage we play. 25% is door shuts.
See, I would have thought you would have maybe tried to have a conversation with them. Like, reason with them. Like, what's going on with the outfit? Nothing. No, and I just considered that. Like, you said it, and I was actually running it through my mind. Like, could I do that? So what are you today? What's your costume? Yeah, you know why I won't do it? Because when you said it, and I ran it through my head, I got that the response was just a smart-aleck kid, and I don't know. Close. But, usually, the enthusiastic trick-or-treats are nine and under. About nine years old and under. And I get, like, maybe three and under. They don't really understand the concept that much. Right. So, I'll be cool about that. Of course. But, you know, those middle kids, between, I'd say even four to ten, you better give a good trick-or-treat. Like, one, like, trick-or-treat!
Like you're practically yelling it at every door. And I will be happy to. Yes. Plentiful candy. Can I talk to somebody on the phone line right now that's in their 20s that was that kid that didn't say trick or treat? No, no, no. I promise I won't beat you up. I just, I really do want to, I want to, I've never had the opportunity to interview that person. And I would like the opportunity to interview that person that would trick or treat without saying trick or treat. Or that would trick or treat way into their teenhood, didn't wear a costume. Oh, see you later. P1, now this is just people calling in. P1 Josh? Yeah, what's up? Go ahead. You got a candy giving question for Eddie. Yeah, hey Eddie, I just want to ask you a question, man. Yeah. Like about your selective candy giving. Say like two kids roll up to the door, right? With their parents. One of the boys, I don't know, I guess his birthday, he got, like, a really good Star Wars costume, right? Sweet. Yeah. And then, like, his little brother or sister, like, do too good or something. They didn't make allowance. And, like, they just got a little sheet with holes for eyes, you know, a little ghost. And their parents are behind them. Would you give, like, one Butterfinger to a little ghost and, like, a handful to Luke Skywalker?
Well, here is what I would honestly do, and don't judge me. I would get the handful for the Star Wars costume because I think that's awesome. And then I would pretend that I got a handful of candy and really only had like maybe one or maybe two in my hand and kind of put my hand into their bag so they don't see me dropping the candy and then give them the smaller amount. Don't judge me. Wow. I won't. What do we think about this? You know, when we take Jake tonight, I'm sure we're going to take him with a little thing for candy. Yeah. That's not right. Why, because you get the candy? Yeah, I'm going to tell Rebecca. I don't think that's right, and I know that's the plan. Yeah. In fact, I think we got him a little plastic jack-o'-lantern. Yeah, yeah, yeah. With a pale, you know, it's like the jack-o'-lantern pale. Yeah. That's not cool. Jake's not going to eat that. But everybody during Halloween,
They understand the concept of wanting to give candy. And I'm fine with that. If you bring your little kid to my door and he's dressed in an outfit, I know he's not eating the candy, but I'm in the candy-giving mood that night. So there you go. It's okay. No candy for toddlers tonight. None. You don't mean that. Parents come to the door. Don't be like your parents. Tell Rebecca you leave that pill at home. No. Don't be like this. Don't be like this. We'll go door to door. We'll say trick-or-treat. They can see Jake. I don't believe you. Don't be like this. But we will not pillage. We will not pirate. It's not like that. We will not steal through thievery or otherwise. Shush. Dude, I am a candy pimp at Halloween. I have my nieces bring an extra bag and I inform them to say that your little brother is sick at home and you want the extra candy and then I get the extra bag. It's a great scam. So brutal. Great scam. Woo! And I'm not lying. I'm not lying at all. I really do do that. That is a great idea. It is awesome. Sean, can you give me my real sports music? Eddie, you're the best. He is not the best. I love the candy. And finally tonight, Halloween. Although some sports figures still trick-or-treat to this day, it is a known thing that people well into their 20s still trick-or-treat. On the phone with us right now is Kenny. He's 20 years old.
Used to play football in high school and now trick-or-treats without a costume. Kenny, are you there? Kenny is 20 years old and he plans on trick-or-treating. What? You can't. Tonight. You can't. What did I mean? Tonight. Mike. How? With no costume. Get up. No, I can't. Get up. I will not attack. Attack. I want to interview. I just want to interview. Okay, but interview Matt Lauer style, please. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, I'll interview Matt Lauer style. I'll give you that. I'll give you that. I'll give you that. Now, you've got to agree to be honest here, Kenny. Honest. All right. Now, Kenny, you are 20 years old, and what part of San Diego are you from? Like the Lemon Grove area. Okay. Now, do you trick-or-treat every year? I just recently started like two years ago. I got one when I was 18 and 19. So when you were a child, did you trick-or-treat as a child? My mom never let me. She never let you. And so at somewhere around 18 years old, you decided that you were going to start trick-or-treating. Exactly. Now, you say that this year you're going to be trick-or-treating and it's not going to be with a costume. Is that right? No, I usually go out with a group of friends and nobody really dresses up. Okay. And have you been doing this now since 18 years old? This will be the third year now that you've done this? Yeah. Okay.
When you go to the door without a costume and you're trick-or-treat, are you concerned at all that you're taking candy away from little kids? No. You are not concerned with that? No. And how are you met generally by the public? How do they receive you when they open the door and you're not wearing a costume? Well, the friends that I'm with are little gutter punk kids, so they kind of just assume that that's our costume. They assume that the costume is that you guys are hoodlums. Yeah. I see. And how much candy can you collect by doing this? I don't know. They usually hit up the neighborhood like twice. Here comes the Matt Lauer part. Let me ask you a question, Kenny. You're 20 years old. You're trick-or-treating tonight. You don't have on any costume. How do you think this affects the community after the wildfires? Nice one. Wow. Yeah, Kenny? I deemed that question invalid. Boy, that one knocked the wind out of me. It sure did. Hey, that's what Lauer does. He goes right for the testicles. He will kick you full force. Call him glib, Kenny. Yeah, you should call me glib. All right, Kenny. Wait, I have a question. You got questions? Please. Go ahead. Why not wear a costume? Yeah, why not wear a costume? Why not? Honestly, because I'm broke.
I don't have any money. Oh, but wait a minute, Kenny. Wait a second. You know you could put something together that wouldn't cost a dime. Goes tinfoil guy. Yeah, you could put a paper bag over your head goes the unknown comic or a Saints fan. Or an ugly chick. Or an ugly chick. Ashley's got a question. I have a question. What makes you feel that you're credible enough to have all that candy for free when you don't even dress up? Credible. How does it help you with the ladies? What? Well, I have a girlfriend, so I don't have to worry about the ladies. What does she think about this? What? I don't know. She doesn't really know, I guess. She doesn't know that you trick-or-treat? No. And now, people will, what I'm surprised at, honestly, do you get the doors closed in your face ever? Never. Never? Wow. Ever. Wow, people must feel guilty.
I get a question for him. Okay, Boston Rob's got a question for you. What time are you going tonight? No, hey, Rob. No. What? Get out of here with that. There you go. All right, thank you, Kenny. Any other questions for Kenny? Don't do that, Kenny. Yeah, don't do it, Kenny, but we know you will. All right, see you later. That's Kenny. He's 20 years old and... Terrible. The guy trick-or-treats. P1 Brent. Hey, am I on? Yeah, you're on the air. Hey, I just want to let everybody know down... Qualcomm parking lot tonight from 6 to 9. Free for kids, good for parents. We're doing free candy, games, carnival rides, stuff like that. Totally safe environment. My treasure's putting it on, so everybody's welcome to come on down. And yeah, 6 to 9. Thank you very much. Is there any cool marathons on cable and satellite TV tonight? That's what I love to do. On Halloween night, I love to go through the guide.
Yeah. And just start switching around. You get some pretty good stuff. P1 Australia is on the line. Hello? Yeah, go ahead, Australia. Yeah, when I used to go trick-or-treating, I was like 14. Me and a bunch of friends of us, we dressed up and we actually sang Christmas carols instead of saying trick-or-treat. Now, you would do that at age 14, you said? Yeah. And you're from, why do you call yourself P1 Australia? You're not from Australia, right? I am from Australia, but I've been in the States for a while. Was that a tradition in Australia, doing Christmas carols? No, no. They hardly celebrate Halloween. What did people say? They actually loved it. Some people would have us do like two or three verses of the Christmas carol. Okay. This is George Takai. Oh, boy. George Takai. Well, that last story that we did a little while ago gave me an idea. What?
I'm thinking of going tonight as a tainted supplement. Okay, no, that's weird. Don't do that. Don't do that. A tainted supplement. Okay, okay, we got it. We heard you, George. We got it. Look, I'm a supplement, but I've been tainted. Okay. Oh my gosh, we get it. You're odd. P1 Towley's on the line. Towley, how are you? Good, how are you? Good. I have a question for you, Mikey. Yeah, go ahead. I am 28. I do dress up to take my little cousins to trick-or-treating, but I usually wear these hot costumes. This year is a gothic fairy. Would you give me candy? You're going to be a gothic fairy? Yes. Well, sure. If you're in costume, I'll give you candy. But I'm 28. Oh, oh, oh. Yeah. Anybody in costume that says trick-or-treat in an enthusiastic way gets candy. Yeah, you'll get a little candy. All right.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah, Eddie thinks you're eye candy. Eddie, what's on TV tonight? AMC looks like they're having a Halloween marathon with all the Halloween movies. On FX, it just looks like different scary movies like Halloween, Dark Water, those kind of things. This is something that you may be into. Sci-Fi is doing Ghost Hunters Live. So they're going to a couple of places like a Santa. Nothing happens, you know. It's like Al Capone's tomb. On the History Channel, they're having a couple of cool things. They're doing modern marvels about candy, Monster Quest, and Deep Sea, the Loch Ness mystery. So a couple of things on tonight. That sounds kind of cool. I think we'll dress the cats up tonight as homeless cats. Yes. Yes. Shut up. Dress them up as microwaves. I told Rebecca we should dress them up as coyote food. Oh, you're so funny. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Animal abuse is hilarious. Oh, this guy. Wonka is on the line. P1 Wonka. Wonka. What's up, dude? What's going on? Hey, I was calling just for that bad caller back there to you also. You can probably go as...
As a Poway evacuee for Kenny. A Poway evacuee what? Yeah, fire evacuee for Kenny since he didn't have a costume to go to. Or that Kenny kid who called in. Oh, right, right, right. He should say he's a fire evacuee. Too early. Yep. Thank you. P1 Sean is on the line. Hey, what's going on, Mikey? What's up? Hey, question. When you were little and trick-or-treating, did you ever get to a house where the people would leave the bowl of candy sitting on the front porch? No. First of all, my childhood, I trick-or-treated, I believe, once. Was taken trick-or-treating one time. That I remember. What would you do? If the house left a bowl of candy on there, would you just take a handful or would you dump the whole bowl of candy in your bag? I think the people that do that are horrendous people. Why are they horrendous? It's the people that abuse it. Aren't they horrendous? That's what I'm saying. The people that take the candy. Oh, I thought you meant the people that leave the book. What I would do, though, is I would go through all the candy and find my favorite and take that one candy. That's all I would take. That's exactly what I did. Yeah, and in my neighborhood growing up, there was a house that would do this around the corner from us. But what the homeowner would do is dress up as a scarecrow.
and sit out on the porch like a scarecrow. And if a kid would try and take the bowl or try and take more than what they were allowed, they would jump up and scare the crap out of the kid. I thought you were going to say they would pick him up over there and slam them to the ground. No, they didn't do that. Pitchforked their eyes. No, no. P1 Kurt. Kurt, are you there? Yes. Go ahead, man. What's happening, man? Yeah, I'm 47 and I still trick or treat. That's fine. I mean, if you're wearing a costume, it's fine. No, I trick-or-treat with a shot glass. I've been doing it for years. That sounds like fun. Do the people go back in the house and grab something and come fill you up? Absolutely. That's rad. That's hysterical. I'd fill someone up. My mom, when we were kids, she used to take a trick-or-treat and that's where I learned her from. She would use a shot glass. I'm still reeling from Sky's comment. Everybody knew what I meant.
Okay. Hang on a second. I'm going to fill you up. Shut up. Hang on right there, 47-year-old. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today on the show, nooner. All request lunch with Missy. Call in, make your requests. We'll see you again tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show's out. Love your mouth.
