The Mikey Show opened with a chaotic Home Depot blinds segment where Sky's husband wrote 'approximate size' instead of real window measurements, prompting Sky to drop F-bombs at the associate, feel remorse, and risk being banned from the store. Listener Ashley's date with P1 caller Chris evolved into a double date at the Joe Rogan comedy show, where the group secured better box seats, Chris performed a hip-hop routine to Kiss Kiss, and friends later warned Ashley he's a diehard radio listener, sparking relationship concerns. Contest winner Jenny delivered an impressive live duet with Joe Braccato of 'Let It Be Me,' showcasing her unexpected vocal skill and earning praise from the hosts for blowing away the studio audience. Sound effects guy Sean Merriman recounted his ejection from an HOA meeting after refusing to sit down during a $7 rate-hike debate, while the show later ignited a heated discussion on Dog the Bounty Hunter's racially charged voicemail to his son, Bear Grylls' allegedly staged Man vs. Wild scenes, a writers strike, and three announced celebrity pregnancies.

Already, it's Monday. Already. Snuck up on us. Changed our time over the weekend, so it may feel like five minutes after seven to a lot of us, but it's actually 6-0-4. A Nebraska teacher who fled to Mexico with a 13-year-old boy has been taken into custody and is currently in jail in El Centro. Adrian Peterson was a man amongst boys as he ran for an NFL record 296 yards against the Chargers as Minnesota upset them. 35 to 17. So I play fantasy football with Eddie here at Clear Channel. We have a league called the Fantasy Freakin' Football League. And then I'm in another league with Rolo, my friend Rolo. I have the same records in both leagues. And I do a much better job in the other league of acquiring pickups each week.
It's harder to in our league here at Clear Channel because there's more guys and everybody jumps on people like vultures, including myself. I was so proud of the pickups I had yesterday. I picked up Lee Evans, who had 150-some yards and a touchdown. I picked up Amon Green, and he goes out and scores a touchdown immediately, then hurts himself. I had a really good day, okay? My opponent has Adrian Peterson. Oh, well, that's bad. Who set an NFL record yesterday. Right. How many yards, Eddie? 296. That's all. Sky, do you understand that 296? You don't? No. Okay. No, you could say a gabillion. I'd be like, wow, that may be a lot. I'm not quite sure. Well, let me just say this.
If a running back rushes for 100 yards in a game, he had a great game, right? Yeah. Eddie, would you say a great game? Yeah. If he has 100 yards, he did great for you. And if you're the head football coach, you're proud of him. He scores a touchdown, you're even more proud of him. Wow, what a good football player you are. 100 yards and a touchdown? Wow. So Adrian Peterson yesterday, 200 and what? 96. 296 and three touchdowns. Sounds good. Now, realize the football field is 100 yards long. Oh, is it? Yeah. So, you know, in the full game, he ran the length of the football field three times. Now, if you're thinking to yourself, well, I mean, it doesn't seem like that much. See, the other guys are supposed to stop him. The other team is supposed to keep him from doing it. Sky, imagine, and I realize you're short, you're small, you're a girl, but imagine 12 guys in front of you. They're big. And you're like, I'm going to take this ball. I'm going to go there. They're like, no, you're not. They didn't yesterday. They were like, so that way. That's the way to the end zone. It was like a matador. Wow. Yes. Okay, so I went up against Adrian Peterson, Brett Favre. Good game. He had Brett Favre. He had Greg Jennings, who Brett Favre was throwing to. Good game, yeah. He had Randy Moss. Okay, well. And he had Joseph Adai. Yeah, that's bad.
That's a bad day for you. Dude, I'm telling you, I hung in there with this guy. He won the game 175. Wow. I've never heard of. Same exact point system as we have. 175. Wow. And I lost to him 175 to 145. Holy cow. That's the worst, too. When you have a huge game and you play the league's top scorer, that's so deflating. Yeah. I mean, when... I had it up on my computer watching the progress until Joseph Adai blew that long play open, and then I just turned it off. I said, oh, okay. Well, that was fun. That's how your day's going to go. That was really a good time. Great day of fantasy football. Real quickly, let's introduce everybody. There's seven people on the Mikey Show. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He is 34 years old. Sky is our news girl. Sky, oh no, Ashley's studio's messed up again. Say hi, Ashley. Sky's our news girl. She's 30. Sean is our sound effects guy. He is 37 years old. Ashley's our assistant producer, 24. Boston Rob Screens phone calls, he's 24. And Zethia notes. He was a P1 listener. That's what we call our listeners, P1s. He was a P1 listener. Got into a contest and
And won the contest. And now he's on the show. He's 22 years of age. That's right. Is it everything you imagined, Seth? And more. There you go. So 570-1053 is our phone number. P1 listeners are listeners who call in. And when they do, they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. That is a P1 listener. So if you are calling in. Do all of those things and you'll be great. A P1 listener is also exclusively a Mikey show listener and you make new P1s. You tell other people about the Mikey show. If they listen to other shows, you threaten to break bones unless they listen to us. That's how it works. That's a P1. Call us and let's get the weekend behind us and get this thing going. Sky was telling us right before we went on the air that she had an interesting weekend at Home Depot. Oh, why do I have to go to that place so much? Why do you? Because my husband, he likes to do stuff with me. Save that clip. That's not what I mean. He likes me to accompany him when he's running errands. Now I got you. Not as cool. So you go to Home Depot with him begrudgingly. Oh, well, I went to Home Depot with him in Carmel Mountain.
Then went to Lowe's with him in Escondido. And then went to Home Depot with him in Escondido. Okay, I give you props. So I was way over my repair store quota. I have like an internal clock and it goes off. It usually goes off with one, like a few minutes into one of them. Yeah, like I have about a half hour in me. And the half hour was already spent on the first Home Depot in Carmel Mountain. Then, yeah. I don't blame you. Yeah. So what happened? Well, so he wanted to show me a certain tile that they had on display outside of Carmel Mountain. So that's why we went to that one. And then we wanted to get blinds for the house, some window treatments. And so he said, well, let's check out what Lowe's has, because I already know what Depot has. Let's go see what Lowe's has, and then we can figure out what we like. He just calls it Depot. He's to the point where, listen. Oh, it's just Depot. It's just Depot. It's just Depot. Everybody knows. Got it. The Depot.
So let's go to Lowe's, check out what they have, this and that. So we kind of find these like cellular shades we like, but then it turns out that they don't cut them there at Lowe's because they only cut certain brands and they don't cut other brands. And so that whole plan was like thrown out the window, you know. And keep in mind, I have this whole sheet of paper with me that has all the dimensions of all our windows in it. Okay, well, let's go to the Home Depot on Valley Parkway in Escondido. Let's check that out. So we go there, we're getting the blinds, we find the ones we like, cool, everything's good. Okay, let's get the lady to cut the blinds to fit the window, right? He goes, well, are those dimensions I gave you the exact sizes? And I said, well, they should be because you wrote them down. Why would you write down just a guesstimate? Like, I don't get it, right? Yeah, yeah. At this time, the lady can tell that we need help cutting the blinds. So she's walking towards her. And he goes, well, look on the sheet. See what the sheet says. So I turn to the sheet that has the dimension. And on the top, it says...
approximate size and i look at my husband and i go you gotta effing be kidding me right now i'm like this is effing bs and i'm like cussing up a storm and i don't realize that the home depot lady is like right there because i'm way past my quota you know it's the end of the work week plus you write down an approach why would you go around a whole house measure every window at an approximate size what I mean, and we've been shopping for these window treatments for probably like three weeks now. Why did he? What did he say? Well, so I find, like, basically, I know him well enough where I go, you wrote down approximate size, but I know you measured the real size. I mean, because we're talking he would put down, you know, a fourth of an inch, you know, like, I mean. Specific. Yeah, it was very specific, but he wrote down approximate size, so he starts going, well, I don't know. Why would I write approximate size? So he never gave you really an answer. He's not sure himself. He doesn't remember because we, like I said, we've been working on this from like a month. So he took these measurements like a month ago. And, and like I said, we've been dealing with this shopping, going to every site. Cause this is how we do things. Like we won't buy something until we're really sure we've been to, you know, 10 stores. We've been on every website, you know, whatever. So I just blew my top in Depot and I was throwing F bombs. And this lady, I, I felt.
so bad like and this is kind of horrible because i didn't feel bad for dropping the f-bombs on my hubby i felt bad for the depot chick because she's looking at me like i am a monster like like she may need to call security because i could like go postal in the middle of depot any second how did this how did this end Finally, I said, F it. These are the numbers. We're getting these blinds. Oh, my gosh. And we did. Now, if they come out wrong, you think Sky will take that okay? Yeah, that's crazy. What am I going to do? I'm going to go home, let him remeasure, and then go back to that F it place? No. Let him go back. He won't. He won't go. I'll have to go with him. Oh, he'll make you go with him. Yeah. So I may potentially be banned from the Home Depot on East Valley Parkway. Seriously, imagine if you get them back and you take them home and they don't fit. You're going to flip out. That's crazy. I'll find out. You're going to flip out. Oh, by the way, Ashley, how did your date go? You know, Friday night... Oh, you can't talk in there? Can you come in here or do you have stuff to do in there? Hello? That sounds okay, but I hear stuff in the background.
Do you hear stuff in the background now? Not as much, but your studio still sounds weird. They don't know what's wrong with your studio? He just came in and said he fixed it, and we were testing the levels. Yeah, right now the left channel is blowing my left ear out, and the right channel is all low. Right. In my studio, we tested our levels out fine, so maybe it's in there. Are you able to come in here, or do you have stuff? Yeah, come in here because I want to know about your date. I was thinking about this all weekend. Well, Ashley, we had a listener win the opportunity to come hang out in the studio. And the listener came in on Thursday. His name is Chris. And he's a handsome kid. And he took a liking to Ashley. And he asked her out on a date to the Joe Rogan show on Friday night. And they were going to go together. And so I want to know how it went. By the way. Oh, my. Yeah, I noticed. She just raised her arms and showed us the pits. Prescription. Yeah, because you were supposed to go to the doctor. That's a prescription? Yeah. What kind of prescription? Like, what did they give you? They gave me, like, it was DrySol prescription. DrySol went to the doctor. It's a deodorant. Yeah. Ashley has a sweaty pit problem. And I... You know what we do? We just do a fundraiser to raise the money for you to get the Botox. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding you. I did everything the direction said. Like, I read over them 800 times. I did exactly what...
What they freaking said. How does a Botox work? Do they stick needles under your armpits and shoot Botox into your armpits and then you stop sweating? Yeah, because it basically kills the cells. It's like a miracle. I wonder if it hurts to get those little shots stuck in your armpits. I wonder if that hurts. Probably a little bit. Mom, yesterday was asking about her pits. My mom started asking about her pits and she said... My mom goes, I had a friend named Edna, and she had a problem like this, and she went to the doctor, and they gave her something. And I'm thinking to myself, I've heard this 9,000 times from human beings about Ashley. Trust me, if there's a solution, she's heard it. She's tried everything. The only thing she has not tried yet is... The Botox. Oh, you didn't see her look at Zeth and ask for Zeth to bring her coffee? I didn't think he was really going to bring it. Are you kidding me? But that was really nice of him. I didn't think he was really going to. Come on. We'll get to that. We'll get to that. To your assistant later. You're the best. We'll get to your personal assistant later. Okay, now I can talk. You're a nut. Okay, anyways. Talk to me about the date. Yeah, okay. So, all right, the date. Well, he picked me up at my house.
And a couple of my friends were hanging out, and he totally mingled with them. He was real cool. We go to the comedy show. Guy friends or girlfriends? My two friends, Jessica and Kaylee, who are like my best friends. And they were hanging out at your place when he came over to get you? They're my best friends, so they know me really well. Yeah, girlfriends. And they were at your place when he came over to get you? Yeah, because I wanted them to meet him. Well, he got there a little early, too. He got there, like, at seven. Now, me personally, I say, you know, I think it's a great idea for them to meet him. I would say maybe not the first date. Poor guy's a little nervous coming over to the house and meet the friend's first date. But, hey. Because not only does he have to impress her. Sure. But now he's got to put on a show for the other two friends. And he did. He passed the test. Good job. She says he did okay. Right. Yeah. I just get nervous because I've never really met him and he came to my house. So I have this weird thing. So I wanted witnesses just in case he was crazy. But he was fine. It was cool. He didn't rape you or anything. No, we're good with that. So we cruised to the comedy show and he drove and the conversation flowed and we get there and it was really cool actually because we originally had seats where we were standing up in the corner where we could only see half the stage. Because these are tickets we got and I
I don't know. They were like the worst seats. They came from the station or from Joe? We cut them through the station, but they were really bad. When we give tickets to listeners, sometimes the tickets are good. Sometimes they're bad. It just depends. I will tell you this, though. When we personally ask for tickets as DJs for shows, they're bad. They're always bad. They're terrible. They're the worst seats that you get. Yeah, because I had gotten two, and then he had two that he won. So, like, yeah, they were all up there. So, fortunately, I was able to, like, talk to the House of Blues guy, and I was like, hey, listen, like, I never do this, but is there any way, like, we could get some cooler seats? And so, we end up getting to sit. We end up getting to sit in the front. Did he know who you were? No, no, no. Kind of a big deal. No. So, how did they, if he didn't know who you were, how did it work? Well, I went up to him, and I said, Well, I asked the security guard and he said, go to this guy Ken G with House of Blues. So I went up to Ken G and I was like, hey, you know, I'm Ashley and I work for the Mikey show. And, you know, we had Joe Rogan on this morning. And, you know, is it like I know Tyler from House of Blues. And is there any way that like we could get some better seats? Like, I hate to ask you that. No, he didn't know you. No, but he was super cool. Like he was like, all right, awesome. Yeah. And he put me and a couple of my friends like in a box seat. A couple of your friends. Wait, you brought friends on the date? Yeah.
Oh, this is a nightmare. It was a double date. What? A double date? Yeah. Was it the friends from your apartment? Your girlfriends that went? It was my friend Megan and her boyfriend Ryan. Oh, okay. Did they meet you there? Mm-mm. They met me at the house and then we kind of caravaned down. So like we drove in one car and then Megan and her boyfriend drove behind us. Got it. Yeah, so. So they put you all in better seats. Yeah, it was really, really cool. That's awesome. It was huge, yeah. And so we got to sit, you know, in the... like this box with the couches. And we were, I mean, Chris, we're like snuggling, you know, it was cute. And we're watching the show and, um, the comedian's face. Oh my God. What happened? Weird. You didn't need to reenact it. Right. Yeah, she's showing us how they were. So, um, so we're watching and the comedians are great. And Joe gets on and he's insane and hilarious and wasted, you know, and he goes for like an hour, an hour. And then he just starts. answering heckler questions. Like, what? What? What do you got? Like, just literally, like, rebuttaling anybody that wants to talk crap to him and then just going off on tangents. Like, no material. Well, like, if someone talked crap to him, like, he would rebuttal, like, have a rebuttal, get him back, have a theory, whatever. So, wait. People were heckling him? Oh. Dude, the crowd was brutal. They heckled the second comedian so bad that he couldn't even recover and he had to stop short his set. And he was hilarious.
He was so funny. Why do you go to shows if you're going to act like that? Yeah, if you're a hater, why do you go? Why do you buy tickets? I'm not kidding you. He was hilarious. Let me tell you, hecklers. Hecklers are people that wanted to do something similar to that. They were failures at that kind of thing, and they work normal jobs. And they think at their normal job, oh, I'm the funniest guy at work. And people tell me I could be a comedian. They're that guy. That's who the heckler is. It just kind of blows because people really do want to see the show. People pay good money to see them on stage, not... you know, hecklers. Yeah. I didn't pay to see Joe Schmo. Right. This second comedian, Mikey, you would have freaked out. His last name was like McDermott. I've never heard of him, but he was a genius. They start booing him. Where's Joe? Just cutting him off in the middle of the set. He barely got 20 minutes out and they started to boo him. Do you think that this was, by and large, a drunk audience? Absolutely. Okay, so they're... All different people were... Wasted. Wasted. And they were just being, you know, jackasses. Right. So the guy couldn't recover. He gets off early. Mm-hmm.
Joe comes out. Dude, they tried to bust Joe probably five or six times. What kinds of things were they saying? They would just start, like, stop listening to his riff. Right. And start, like, mingling and then being like, boo! Just no laughter, talking, people getting up to, like, basically the entire front audience would check out. Like, not listen anymore. Boo! like booing for no reason standing up walking around to the point where you're where literally the comedian feels like no one's even hearing him like they drown him out that these were some of the worst hecklers i've ever ever witnessed and i've been to a lot of comedy shows it was awful that's crazy almost kind of ruined the show That's crazy. But Joe put him down every time. Did anybody say anything specific to him, or was it just what you were saying? Well, I was way back, so I couldn't hear. So Joe would address the hecklers, and he would just, I mean, he got after them, like really nasty. He'd be like, what, what? And he would just tag one at a time, and then he'd get the whole audience back into it and start going again. So Joe was a pro with hecklers. It was pretty badass.
So end of the show, it's like 1130. Joe's still up there going. He's just answering questions. And he's like, what? What? How's Ashley? How's Ashley's date going? Oh, that's right. And I'm just sitting back like, no, he is not. Because this crowd is brutal. Right, right. And he's like, where is she? Where? And I'm like, I got to go. I got to go down there. You know? So I like. Running down there. You go to the stage? I go down to the stage. Oh, my God. You got rocks, kid. Right. You got rocks. Right. I was like, I got to go. If that had been me, I would have gotten down further in my seat. Listen, I know that you love attention and everything. But in that crowd, forget it. No way would I have gone for it. Even if I am that personality type that I love the attention. Forget it with the angry drunk crowd. Oh, I know. I was so, but he was calling me out. He's like, where is she? Where is she? Get down here, little blonde, like whatever. You know what? Even if you hadn't gone down there, he would have got you. He would have rooted you out. People would have said, there she is. They wouldn't have stopped until you came up there. Right. And I, you know, and so I did, I just, I went down there and I go up to the stage and Joe's like, oh, there she is. And I look up at Joe and Joe is like, oh.
Like, he's gone. And so he's like, oh, how's it going? Is he drunk? Is he high? We know he smokes marijuana. He's for sure drunk and hot. Oh. For sure. Right. Okay, loaded. So I get up there, and he was just like, what? And he came and put the mic down to me, and I was like, Joe, are you wasted? Like, into the mic. Right. Like, that's how I kicked it off. And he goes, don't try to change the subject. Like, what's going on with you and your date? You know, have you given him anything? Like, whatever. Right. And so I'm, like, looking up for Chris. Like, I'm like, get your ass down here. Because the whole point was that Joe wanted to meet Chris. So the crowd starts turning on me. I start hearing the boos. I start hearing the bits going nowhere. I don't see Chris. Like, I don't, like, it's all black up there. So I'm like, I don't know what to do. Joe starts, like, getting distracted. And I'm like, this is going to go so wrong. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I turn around. And there's my knight in shining armor. No, he came down. And it was so cool. So he came down, and I'm like, yo, this is him. And he was like, all right. So I heard you asked her in a real gay way or something like that. He landed one line like that, but he shook his hand and was like, whatever. And it was over? And it was done. And we walked off, and it was like, wow. And the crowd was cool with it. I didn't get booed out. He didn't come down after me.
I don't know how I escaped. Let me tell you something. I don't know how I escaped. Full story, to me, sounds like a bad dream I would have. Oh, right. Like, it sounds like a dream I would wake up from going, ah! It was insane. Wow. So, yeah. And then we went back to my house, and, uh... Uh-oh. Hello. Do I need to... Should I just wrap it up? Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I've heard enough. Sorry, what's a good date? No, we didn't even kiss. Like, I haven't kissed him yet. But I took him back to my house. I just didn't know if we could talk about heroin use on the air. Well, he just, we kind of did like... Well, kissing's too personal. We did other stuff. Stop it. Stop it. Yeah, we didn't kiss. We made love. Well, he came back to my house and he wanted to see my dance-off video, so I showed him. He wanted to see your what? My dance-off video. Your dance-off video. From the 28-Hour Show. Okay. Because we had a really big discussion about how I love to dance and does he dance. This is not happening. And so then after that. So she's got the video on hand. Yes. No, it's on MikeyShow.com for anyone to enjoy. Okay. So anyways, so I showed him the video and then he was like, oh, well, I dance too. And you know what? I'll just show up, get up and show you. So he put on Chris Brown, Kiss Kiss and got up in my living room and did a full on hip hop routine of the song.
Wow. Our weekends were very different. That's impressive. It was cool. For a white boy, he can dance. Oh, okay. That's impressive. It went really good. Yeah. You really liked him, and it went well. And you'll go out again? Yeah, well, I don't know, because this... Wait, what? What just happened? What just happened? What just happened? I don't know. It sounded perfect. I don't know. Why? Because then we hung out on Sunday. And he punched me. And he and I went to lunch. We watched a little bit of the Chargers. And it was really fun. And he's really nice. But I've had three of my really close friends tell me that they think he is a diehard listener. And that I just need to be careful of that. In what way? I'm a diehard listener. If I wasn't the host of the show, I'd be a diehard listener. Yeah. What does that mean? Like people that are diehard listeners are weird? I don't know. Like maybe he's only going out with her because? Right. All of his friends listen. He told me he's like, all of my friends listen. And I'm just like, you know. If I weren't on the show, all of my friends would listen. I'd be a diehard listener. And here's what you have to think about this. You are all of the things that he'd be attracted to anyway.
you're pretty and funny and cool and all that stuff so he's gonna be attracted to you like i think it's a mistake to go oh the only reason he likes ashley is because she's on the show there's a lot to like oh yeah if somebody said that about me okay i get it i'm kind of grumpy i'm i there's a lot of things about me um but at the same time even it's that whole thing that conversation we've talked about before uh if i were single And somebody was going out with me and somebody said, well, the only reason she's going out with him is because there's Mikey, because he's Mikey. There's things that make you that thing. Like, well, how did I become Mikey? Well, I became Mikey by being smart or being funny or being blah, blah, blah. Like, so yeah. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. So she likes a smart, funny guy. Yeah. You know, who happens to be Mikey. Right. He likes a very pretty, funny, cool person who happens to be on the radio. And as far as him being a listener, like, you know, first of all, I don't know that I'd like imagine if she met some guy that listened to Jeff and Jer. I'd be like, really? He's like a Jeff and Jer fan. You know what I mean? Like, of course, like it's a fun show. Of course, you're going to listen. But I get I totally get what she's saying. Yeah. And I had I had the talk with him like where I totally was like, listen, you know.
whatever it can't be like that and he totally got it you know well listen i think this would be really be cool i'll say this i think it would be weird if you guys were dating and everything was like yeah who you are on the radio and all conversations centered around right you know that kind of stuff right i think that that would be really weird and Yeah, and he's definitely not like that. So I'm just going to really take it slow and just keep hanging out with him and see where it goes. Eddie, what were you going to say? I wasn't the one that was saying that about her. I think that's kind of lame. that your friends are like, you know, kind of... Well, my friend Kaylee, like, had a big talk with me last night that she doesn't think I should date him. Well, that's lame. They should ignore their own, you know, mind their business and then let you handle it. You're a grown-up. It gets in my head like crazy. Well, here's the thing that I think is kind of a bummer about it is that she knows that. In fact, by telling you all the stuff that she told you, if you continue to see him, she's made it very clear now she thinks you're weird. It's implied. That's what she told me last night. It's implied.
She was like, just be careful. He just really listens to the show a lot. And I just would really be careful with that because you just don't know how weird they can get. You don't know what they're telling their friends. And I feel like he had that vibe that he is just a diehard listener. And just be really careful. I don't know. Well, he is a diehard listener. That's how she talks, too, by the way. But I think it's kind of a bummer. And listen, no doubt about it. Everyone listening right now over the age of, I don't know, 20-something, realizes that what her friend was saying to her is a product of... being real young that's the way you talk to friends when you're little yeah you're right it's the truth you're right you're absolutely right when you grow up when you grow up and you're an adult like no adult would ever say that to like no adult right no adult would ever say to their friend I don't know. Like, we all had thoughts about Ashley's last boyfriend, but we kept them to ourselves. I mean, it's none of our business. I mean, if we felt that it was like... Well, I really wish you would have spoken. Well, if we felt... Actually, for me to learn. I know. You figured it out. Yeah. You're a big girl. I know, I did. Yeah, well... Oh, we still danced to this song, too. That was the ending of our night. We still danced to this song. Get your apartment. Yeah, he dipped me. Yeah, he dipped me. He dipped you? It was cute. Hey, just between me and you, be careful of this guy.
So a listener, a P1 listener is coming in to sing on the air this morning. She won the contest on Friday. And she's coming in to sing Let It Be Me, a song by her friend Joe Braccato. Joe's coming in. He's going to play acoustically in the 7 o'clock hour. So in less than an hour, all this stuff's going to be going on. Sean Merriman's coming on the show. Got to talk to Sean Merriman from the Chargers. Terrible defensive performance by the Chargers yesterday. We're going to play something called the Dumb Chick Challenge. Ever heard of it? And your phone calls at 570-1053. Love to know what people that just heard all that, what they think. I mean, seriously, what do the P1s think of that? Joe Bricado's already here. Wow. Sit down, Joe. Look at this guy. Joe, how are you? Joe, we'll talk to you. We're going to take a break, but we'll come back and we'll talk to you, okay? I'm so glad he's here. Joe's here. Shia LaBeouf, the guy that is the star of the movie Transformers. He got arrested over the weekend in Chicago. Oh, I'll tell you why he got arrested right after this. Stand-up spotlight on 5-3. Clinton was so smooth. He could lie his way out of anything. He could stand in front of you right now, look you all directly in the eyes and say, I am not here. What is here? Isn't here just there without a T? If the Monica Lewinsky scandal happened to President Bush, there's no way he gets out of it. Put him on the stand. Mr. President, do you have relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky? What?
What did they tell me to say here? That was out loud, wasn't it? Oh, my heart is pounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday Kingdom-infused face paint. It's weekend only. You need to stop adults and ask them if their refrigerator is running. And once you've read the comics, where do you throw the rest of the newspaper? Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We'll get some tough spots already here this morning. We've got westbound 8, an accident past West Main Street. It's got you packed a big time from Greenfield Drive out of the Owen Valley up to this crash. And then once you get past that, though, you're pretty much good to go into Mission Valley. Westbound 52, there's an accident. Actually, first you're going to find some slow traffic coming out of Santee up the hill. And then there's an accident just before Genesee and Kearney Mesa. So watch the breaklights around that as well. The 94 King Freeway westbound will tighten out from Euclid to the 805. Getting tougher out of the South Bay with the 5805 northbound. Heavy to Chula Vista now up to National City on these freeways. 805 continues to go off and on through North Park. And now you've got the backup out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. South 15, plenty of break nights here from the 78 struggling through Escondido all the way into Rancho Bernardo. The coaster ride, South on 5, has plenty of stuff as well out of La Costa and the Solana Beach. North on 5, heavily backed up off the 78 through Oceanside to an accident clearing near the 76. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. All right, let's talk for a second about Massey Toyota in Pacific Beach. They have a huge, enormous inventory of cars, trucks, and SUVs. And if you're a Toyota guy, it's the perfect time for you. If you're a car guy or gal and you just need a car right now, you got to go. Massey Toyota this week, they're getting you to save big on every new and used vehicle that they have in stock, every Prius, Camry, Corolla, and RAV4.
They got the Tundras, the Tacomas, the 4Runners. Go down there, check them out. All the 2007s have to go. You know what that means. They're making deals. So go down to Massey Toyota today, Mission Bay Drive, and Pacific Beach. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I love going to the movies, and I love watching the Food Network. Eddie. I am part of Earth. Sky. Hey, I smoked a lot of pot for many years. Yeah? Sean. I almost shot someone in the face one time. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. Welcome back. It's 641. Film and TV writers have announced that they will strike starting today. So Super Bowl 41 and a half. Did it live up to the hype? Well, New England comes back in the fourth quarter to beat the Colts 24 to 20. All right. So before we went to break, I told you that Shia LaBeouf, he's that kid that's supposed to be like a good guy. Yeah, like out of all the kids in Hollywood right now, he's like the goody two-shoes. Well, what's funny is that, I mean, I'd say about a month ago, there was an article in Entertainment Weekly about Shia LaBeouf, and that was the whole purpose of the article is how he has never been in trouble. He's against going out and partying and looking like an idiot, and he's an actor, and he doesn't ever want to be associated with the Lindsay Lohans and those kind of actresses. How old is he? He's 21.
So what happened, Skye? So early Sunday morning in downtown Chicago, I guess he was at a Walgreens and he was asked to leave by security there because he appeared intoxicated and he refused to leave. And the police were called, and everyone there says he was very courteous and very polite, but he just wouldn't leave. So the police took him out, and they say he was released on bond at around 7 o'clock that next morning. Wow. Yeah. There it is. Our good friend Joe Braccato is in the studio. Thank you very much, Mike. I love it, man. Now, I'm going to tell the story about Joe Braccato. When Eddie and I lived and worked in Rochester, we worked for Joe's dad. And his dad is an amazing singer in his own right. Your dad is a very talented guy. In fact, didn't your dad used to sing a lot of jingles on ABC back in the day? Well, he wrote the CBS late night movie theme during the late 70s and 80s. That was a good thing. Right. And he sang a lot of stuff, wrote a lot of stuff, wrote some stuff for the Olympics one time. He's a creative guy. Yeah. And so we worked for Chuck. Well, I remember walking into Chuck's office.
And by the way, the Frank Pantangeli voice that I do from The Godfather was your dad's favorite thing in the world. Your dad used to always say to me, Mike, please do Frank Pantangeli. And I used to go, you know, John came in. When he asked me to do the voice, how am I doing it for you? That's a mitch crackling chopped liver. There he is. So in his office one day, he said, hey, listen, I want... I want to play a record that we got in here and see what you think of it. And it was your record being Tell Me That. I go, holy cow, that guy's good. Who is that? He said, that's my son. I said, you got to be kidding me. So he gave me the CD with all your songs on it. And Eddie too, man, you remember. We wore that CD out playing it. Thank you, thank you. Joe's a good singer, man. And Joe, You live and work in Rochester, and now you're going to L.A., and this is your second album, by the way. If people want to get Joe's music, go to iTunes. You can get his stuff. Absolutely. CDbaby.com, iTunes. So you're coming out to L.A., and you're going to give it a shot in L.A. Well, I really enjoyed his songwriter thing. We've had a little bit of success over the last year or two with stuff in televisions and films, little indie films.
We almost just had a major one for a Christmas movie that didn't pan out. But I'm just really excited about it. And the work I'm doing is the best I've done so far. So I'm having a good time. And people are responding to this new music. Here's what we're going to do. He sings a duet. And the duet, by the way, my wife was singing it all weekend long. She was singing it all weekend long. Yeah, it was in my head too. But he does a duet on his new album. The album's called Free. You get it on iTunes. And Joe, give out your... MySpace, so that if people want to check out your MySpace, they can do that? Absolutely. My MySpace is MySpace.com forward slash Brucato Band, B-R-U-C-A-T-O-B-A-N-D. All right. So check it out. So from his new album, he's got a song called Let It Be Me. It's a duet. It sounds like this. Let it be me. Who comes to hold you? Who sets you free? Make you smile. And I suggested to Joe, I said, Joe, what if you came in and you sang that in the studio? He says, yeah, we need a girl. And so we had a bunch of girls on Friday call into the show and give it a shot. And a girl named Jenny won. I can make you smile. Yes, I understand. Like no other woman can. Who set you free? That'd be me.
Let it be. Well, thanks. Saying that from the bottom of a canyon. Yep. I hear the reverberation in the background. Recorded from my shower. That's right. It was awkward. So that was Jenny. She won. She's going to come in. She's going to sing that with Joe. And Joe is also going to do maybe my favorite song ever from him. A song called Waiting for My Kingdom to Come. I'm not afraid of dying. He's going to perform this live in a little bit. I'm not afraid of what we'll be. I've described Joe's voice over the years as, well, it's kind of like a Sunday afternoon when you're thinking to yourself, you know what? It's kind of chilly outside. It's kind of chilly inside. And you go, what would be nice right now is a nice warm shower. His voice is like that feeling when you get into the shower and that warm hot water hits you. Where my spirit scores.
Felt that way the first time I heard his voice, and I still feel that way today hearing his stuff. When you record these songs, Joe, how many times do you have to sing it? You know, honestly, a lot of times the first or second take, they get really excited about the producers I work with. Because I spend so much time writing it, that by the time I'm ready to take it, I've worked it all out. Like on the album Free, there's like 14 tracks. You know, probably eight of them were done in one or two takes. It was lucky, you know. Wow. That's cool, man. I like singing, brother. Yeah, I know it. I know it. So here's what we're going to do. Just after 7 o'clock, and we're sending a blast out to the P1 Text Army so people know. Just after 7 o'clock, Jenny is going to be in here. She won. She's going to be singing with Joe. They're going to go into another room. They're going to kind of work out how they're going to do it.
and come in here and sing it live. I'm excited. And Joe's also going to do the song that we just played live. He's got his guitar with him. And so, Joe, we're real excited to have you here today, man. Thank you, Mike. I appreciate that. You know, now, I got to hear this story because we were... Do I have a couple minutes, Eddie? Or do we have to break now? You got a couple minutes. Okay, because one thing that I want to get to is when we were off the air, we were talking to Sean. And Sean goes, I got to tell you about how I almost got kicked out of my HOA meeting. Yeah, this will probably take too long. We should probably take a break because this is going to be good. Can we come back and do it? We got Sean coming up too, right? Sean Merriman? Yeah. Okay, I got to hear this story. Sean got into a verbal altercation at an HOA meeting and his wife was getting into it too. So I can't wait to hear this story. And Sean Merriman is going to be on the show next.

658. The San Diego City Council will be voting today at 2 o'clock whether to ban booze at San Diego Beaches. There was one good thing that came out of the Chargers game against Minnesota. Antonio Camardi set an NFL record with a 109-yard touchdown return. I don't know if you saw this, but I don't think it's a fun time to be Charlie Weiss. Notre Dame beaten by Navy. First time in 475 years. I mean, that was... How bad can it get for the Irish? That's bad. That's crazy! They've only won a game, I think, right? They've won one game. And the last time that Navy beat them, Roger Staubach was the quarterback of Navy. Oh! Oh my goodness. It's been like 43 years, I think. A while ago. Oh my. Pretty pathetic. That's not good. This is the Bunline Sean Merriman Report.
In other words, it could be worse. You could be in Notre Dame. That's right. Sean, I'm just going to tell you, it's so uncomfortable after a loss. I'm driving in this morning and I go, we're going to talk to Sean after this game. What do we say? It was a terrible, terrible outing. What do you say? You know what I mean? It's very uncomfortable. You don't talk to me right after the game when I almost ripped The camera lens is off when they're trying to talk to me. I'm good. I'm good. I got a chance to watch the film on the way back on the plane. So I've seen a whole lot more than I knew during the game. How do you do that? Do they do it on a screen on the plane? Or do you have it on a little DVD that you watch on a personal DVD player? Yeah, they load it up on a computer. So I get a chance to watch it. Phillip Rivers watches it. So a few players get a chance to watch it on the way back.
So what did you see, Sean? It was horrible. It was embarrassing. And I said it numerous times. And that's not the way we played. I couldn't even really talk after the game because I didn't know exactly what happened. But after watching the film, it was embarrassing. It was embarrassing. I mean, we went out there and let a rookie at that. I mean, the guy is good. No doubt about that. We said that going into the game. But there's no way in hell that somebody can rush for that many yards in the San Diego Chargers. And, you know, I couldn't deal with it. Well, tell me, when you were watching the film, what, I mean, you know, more than just, oh, we weren't tackling, oh, we weren't, like, what was the issues, Sean? A lot of things, man. We were running a seven-man boss against a team that we knew they were going to run against us. You know, we got to be able to make changes to that. Number two, Texas last week, we were 35-3, and they still wanted to run the ball because they did not want to pass the ball because of our pass rush. So we knew they wasn't going to do that. And those guys are leading the rush in the National Football League before we came into the game. So who are we going to give the ball to? And so you guys have seven guys in the box, and what it came down to then was just execution. With seven guys in the box, you just weren't able to stop it. You can't execute. You can try to.
Go down there and make as many plays as you can, but you bring that guy down the box and you put an eight-man box and you make the quarterback beat us. That's how you do it. It was an accident, but I accidentally knocked the quarterback out my left knee when I was chasing him down and hit him in the back of the head and knocked him out. The second guy, the next quarterback came in and he was scared out of his mind. He didn't want to be hit. He didn't want to throw the ball. We got to be able to make adjustments to that. So, Sean, it was your knee that knocked out Tavares Jackson? Yeah. And did you know after you hit him that he was knocked out? Yeah, I saw him. His eyes were closed and his mouth was wide open. He was snoring on the field. It was bad. Oh, my God. He had the full, like, when a boxer gets KO'd where your body kind of stiffens up. Right, right. It was gnarly. Now, this is what I'm wondering. I'm going.
It's so drastic, Sean, the change defensively from last season when this team was just downright scary to this season where a rookie's running for 200-some yards. What's the difference defensively in Wade Phillips' scheme from the new scheme? What is so different about it? It's a lot of difference. Obviously, there's some differences that we really can't talk about as players because I have to go into practice the rest of this week. But at the same time, it's just, you know, we got to be able to make adjustments, point blank. You know, I don't think it's possible for, you know, not even just a rookie, but any player to come in and rush for that amount of yards and not make changes, not to make adjustments to that. And we got to do it. We have to make those adjustments. And it was ugly, man. It was ugly. I mean, that team didn't want to throw the ball. They ran to my side two times the whole entire game. Two sides the whole entire game. So I don't play middle back. I don't play. So, you know, if a team want to isolate me and get me away from the ball, they can because I play one side of the field. Now, Sean, is that different from last season? Last season, did you play? Were you given the freedom to play anywhere? It is depending on where I line up at. But if they check it and they check it away from me, there's really not too much I can do.
There's really not too much I can do. I mean, two of my tackles I made 35 yards down the field. Eddie. You know, it's just hard and it's difficult because, you know, teams don't want to pass the ball and they will run it. You know, they had some good players. I mean, they had three or four pro bowlers on their offensive line alone. Right. I mean, so, you know, we wasn't playing against Loushes, but that's still no excuse for a player rushing for almost 300 yards. Right. Sean, as one of the leaders and one of the, you know, I would say you're one of the captains of the defense. Do you, on the field or maybe even this week during practice, are you basically going to call out some of your teammates and coaches? Well, see, and that's a part of the belief that you can't do that. You've got to go back and watch the film. You've got to get guys together, which you can't personally, you know. point out each and every guy because you don't want to cause confusion. I'm not necessarily talking about in the media. I'm saying, like, if you saw somebody on the field not doing what they're supposed to be doing, do you have the responsibility to your team to go up to that guy and go, hey, what's up, man? Come on. Of course. Of course not. And I've been doing that. But, you know, like coaches can't play for them. I can't play for anybody else. Nobody can play for me. So you go out and you do the things.
Yeah, say it, Eddie. Off the air, Eddie was, and I agree, very disappointed with Marlon McCree. And listen, it's not one guy, but as fans, we're watching it, Sean, going, Marlon, come on, bro. As fans, you're hearing what we're saying. It's frustration from us, too. I don't know, man. It's just a difficult situation. I know it's all of you guys out there on the field, but there are some certain guys that I think kind of need to be called out a little bit at this point. I mean, and that's for guys, that's for fans who pay the money to go see. Me, I pull my teammates to the side, no matter which one it is, and I'm going to talk to them. If the fans feel a certain way... Like they started training Marty, Marty, Marty at the end of the game a few weeks ago. They can, you know, call out players. They can say what they want. But for me, I've got to go out there and continue to do what I can do to win games because that's what I'm in the business of. I'm not in the business of, you know, being everybody's firm. I'm not in the business of looking good in the media. If I'm winning games, I'm totally fine with that no matter, regardless of what's said. Offensively, what do you think the issues were and what were you hearing the issues were yesterday?
I mean, you got Pat. We got Pat Williams inside. You got Kevin Williams. You got Erasmus James. You got E.J. Henderson, who I played with at the University of Maryland, who won the buckets when I was there. We knew coming in the front seven, they had probably one of the best five or six players in the front in football as a whole. I mean, you got it. When I seen Pat Williams, I know Kevin Williams, I know E.J., know Erasmus, know them guys. I mean, they're not no slouches by far. They can play. I mean, all those guys, first round, first, second round picks, buckets, winners, and everything else. So we knew they were going to play the way they played. So we got to just adjust. We got to adjust as a team. And right now we're not doing that. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what. The thing is, I don't know how it works in the NFL. I don't know what it's like to be in those locker rooms. I don't know what coaches do to make the changes. Well, the whole team. But specifically, the coaching staff needs to be able to say, we will make changes on the fly to adjust to things that we see. I hope that that happens because it doesn't get any easier with the Indianapolis Colts coming to San Diego on Sunday. No, it doesn't. It doesn't. And, you know, just like I look for playing the Vikings because I knew they were going to run the ball. Like I said before the game, guys, we've got to bring out big woodpacks because they're going to pound the ball. They're going to run the ball. They're going to run the ball.
If the Houston Texans will run the football in 35-3 in the third quarter, you think the Minnesota Vikings are not going to run the ball if it's a close game? And they've got the leading running back in the National Football League? Of course they're going to run it. And we expected them to run it. And it's our job to stop it. You said yourself, you had seven guys in the box trying to stop it, and it was just... Bad execution. What's so strange about it is that when you watch the Denver game, you see a San Diego Charger defense that is pissed off, wanting to show the world that they're good, wanting to show their teammates that they're good, mad about the rap that they've been getting. You watch the execution in that Denver game by you guys and you go, wow, this team's good. Defensively, they're tough. It's just like this. If a team, like you just said, Denver maxed everybody up. They kept guys, and they ran two wide receiver routes because they didn't want to get sacked. They didn't want to throw the ball. We're going to get teams problems if you're only releasing two guys, but if you max it up and release two guys, you're going to have problems. Oakland wanted to go five or seven-step drop. They had to score. They had to try to win the game. We got sacks. We got back there. Whatever team we played, Houston, no sacks. They maxed it up.
They kept guys and they run the ball and they're throwing 35-3. It was the game that way. You mean you guys, because I'm trying to understand this, Sean. I can hear the passion in your voice, but I'm not really understanding what you're saying. Are you saying it's being done wrong right now defensively? No, what I'm saying is if we're playing a team like Tennessee, not Tennessee, but Texas, if they don't want to get beat, if the score was 35-3, you expect They don't want to throw the ball on the Chargers because they know that your pass defense is great? Well, they're afraid to get sacked. Right, right.
And so you're saying that what teams are doing, by and large, is they're just going to come out there and run the ball, run the ball, run the ball. They're going to run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, throw the ball quick, get the ball out of their hands. They're not going back to that five-step drop. It's been happening since New England. You know, ever since the game, New England went out. So, Sean, if you know that, Sean. If you know that, why aren't you guys running 8-9 in the box? Right. That's the question. There you go. There it is. We figured it out. We figured it out. We figured, hey, listen. Should we send a memo to Ted Cottrell? What do you think? What should we do? Hey, listen. Sean is being cool about it. Sean hasn't said a word. I'm saying it. We now know what teams are going to do. We just figured it out on the Mikey Show. Put it on the record. Yes, let's put it on the record that when the San Diego Chargers play other football teams, the other football team is going to run the ball. The reason that they're going to run the ball is because when they pass the ball, Sean and Sean will get to them. Okay? So now we know. Let's put, I'll tell you what, let's put 14 guys on the field now. And me and Eddie will come out there and we'll stop the run too. Yesterday I offered the referee a pair of shoulder pads and the helmet. See? Exactly. Exactly. Well, listen, Sean, it's going to be, I'm sure, a very grueling week for you guys getting prepared for the Indianapolis Colts. Peyton Manning, he's not going to be afraid. He'll throw the ball. So maybe that's going to be your opportunity.
It could be. It'll be another game where we got to bring our big boy pass, like I said, this week and go out there and play football. This thing doesn't change. You find out who has the ball in their hands and you go get them. Hey, Sean, listen. I don't have to go in this week and be amongst the coaches and the players, so I can say this. What I would like as Joe Phan, that's all I am. I'm just Joe Phan. As Joe Phan. I want you to be released like a rabid animal. You know what I mean? Like a Michael Vick Pitbull. You know what I'm saying? What I want is, I want for Ted Cattrall to say to you, here's the game plan. There is no game plan. Just get to the quarterback. Just go out there and be you. Just play. Just get out there and be ferocious. But that's me as a fan. That's what I want to see. And I think you may have the opportunity. Eddie's right. I think this weekend, Peyton Manning is not going to be afraid to throw the ball. Other teams have. Clearly the Texans said, we're going to keep running the ball even when we're behind by 117 points. But the Indianapolis Colts are not going to be afraid to throw the ball. So, Sean, sick him. Sick him. Get him. Sean, get him.
I will. All right, man. All right, Sean, thank you, and we'll talk to you again on Monday. Good luck this week, and we're glad to be able to talk to you, man. All right, thanks a lot. All right, we'll see you later. Catch the Bud Light Sean Merriman Report exclusively every Monday on The Mikey Show on Rock 105.3. I just wanted to thank Mikey this morning for staying on the air. My son Joey and I were out at the dunes in Glamis when we spotted this family bottomed out on a sand dune in their Chevy Silverado. We've got a busy ride out of the East County, the Westbound. It's backed up from before Lake Jennings Park Road to an earlier accident that's now pretty much out of the way near West Main Street. It's a little slowing there after that. And then you're going to find the slowdown off and on from Lake Murray all the way in towards Texas Street here in Mission Valley. Welcome back. It is 7-20. American gangster killed it at the box office this weekend, making over $46 million. Al Cajon's Jimmy Johnson wins at Texas, takes the chase lead. I love our friend Joe Bricado. Joe's in the studio with us. He's so much fun. He is. He's a wild man. Yeah. He's a nut. There's something about me, isn't there? Stop it, Joe. I'm a very slow man, okay? No, I don't mean like that. I'm more attracted to Eddie right now. Well, I mean, who isn't? Not in a physical way, but in, you know, just a spiritual way. Emotional, yeah. There's a lot of spirits in this room to this one. There's no doubt about it. And most of them are good. Yeah, most of them are Jack Daniels. Wait. So let me tell you about Joe. Joe is an old friend of ours, and we used to work for Joe's dad. Joe's dad ran a radio network that Eddie and I worked at out in Rochester, New York.
And that's how we got to know Joe. And I've been a fan of his music ever since then. He writes really, really beautiful music. And one of the songs that hit me from the very first time I heard it was a song, Waiting for My Kingdom to Come. And I thought, man, it's kind of like at the end of the show on Friday, I play a song that's about hope. Every Friday, I play the song that's about hope. And it's called Tunnel. And the chorus of the song is that there's a light at the end of this tunnel. And it talks about how there's going to be hope and there's stuff like that. And I'm attracted to songs like that. I'm attracted to songs that don't make me necessarily think of the bad stuff, but I love songs that make me think of the good stuff and the positive and that there is hope around the tunnel or around the corner and that kind of thing. And there's a real vibe like that with this song, Waiting for My Kingdom to Come. What is it about? I know you wrote it years ago. You were like 18, 19 years old. This is one of the first songs I ever wrote. And it's one of the ones that always stayed with me. Every time I would play when I was living out here previously and every band I played in, this kind of hung around. And people just respond to it. I mean, it's a simple three-chord tune. I don't remember exactly. I wrote it in my grandfather's bedroom. I was at my grandmother's house or something. It just came out. And it's basically, you know,
This life is a struggle for everyone, and I believe that when you pass, there's a reward for that struggle. And this is basically saying it's going to be all right sooner or later. We're going to come back and do a duet with Jenny. P1 Jenny. P1 Jenny. Yep. Who's here. She's the sweetest girl. She is. And she's going to sing a duet with Joe. But first, this is Waiting for My Kingdom to Come. I'm singing this out to all the beautiful people of San Diego that are struggling right now. The country is with you, and we wish you the best. This is a song of hope for you. I'm not afraid of dying. I'm not afraid of what will be. I'm not afraid of dying. No, no. Because with you, I'm going to be all eternity. And my spirit's going. All the love is true
Very much so. That was great, man. I was real nervous about that. That's a hard one to pull off, brother. I don't know. I'm a little mixed about it. I'm telling you, man. I'm telling you, that song just sounds great. I love the words. I love your voice. And man, that stuff about where in the song where you talk about people smiling, where everyone smiles at you. Yeah. You know, that to me is so, that's one of the, yeah, that's one of my favorite lines in that song because I have such a hard time doing that myself. Like I can't smile at people.
because of my own insecurities so when i hear that in the song i think to myself if only i could be the place where i could do that where i could smile at people it's just so beautiful to me on so many different levels and i really love it i love the way you sing it well thank you mike let's do this take a break when we come back he's going to be doing his duet with jenny p1 jenny oh man never sang together before never sang together before she's a p1 it's p1 jenny cool and she came in here and she i'm telling you man she blew us away and so many people auditioned wanted to be able to have the opportunity to do it but i'm telling you jenny blew us away when we come back she's gonna sing with joe a duet right here on the radio okay i'll tell you what the mikey show will be right back go ahead and say if we can on a Today, we salute you, Mr. Unathletic Sports Talk Radio Guy. I love causing trouble. Sky. Sitting out. Rancho Bernardo. Senior community. Shower cap on. Getting some sun. Sean. Sean wears capri pants? Not capri pants. Boston Rock. I enjoy the taste of medicine. Ashley. I can only take really small bites of food. Really small bites of food. The Mikey show's on. You guys are so cute. Thank you. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It is 7.45. A woman is suing her dentist to after he was dancing while drilling her tooth and got the drill bit stuck up in her sinus cavity. I believe Adrian Peterson is still running. The Chargers can't tackle him, and he set an NFL record with 296 yards rushing as the Vikings win 35-17. So Sean said this thing off the air. We've got to hear this. Sean said that he went to an HOA meeting this weekend. When was it, Friday or Saturday, Sean?
It was Friday, Friday night. What happened? What happened? What happened? What happened? Sean's our sound effects guy, by the way, and he lives in the Bay Area. We look at him on a camera. Oh, yay. Well, the short story is my wife and I went to this meeting, and I got in sort of an argument with one of the board members there. And ended up kind of threatening him. And my wife really threatened him. Wow. I want the long version. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I do too. Skye, was that what you were raising your hand to say? Well, first, I want the long version. And secondly, do you guys normally go to these HOA meetings? Or was this your first? We always go. In fact, Dina used to be on the board. Oh, okay. Why is she not on the board anymore? She's not on the board anymore because the guy who's the president is the biggest D in the world. So she quit. Yeah, she quit. She actually walked off one night. Now, for those of you that are new to the show, Sean has a history in this neighborhood because his neighbors are crazy. His neighbors are crazy. Yeah, they threw battery acid on my car one time. They like to cook in their walk in the garage. They had a stove in their garage at one point.
Don't forget the cigarette butts that they throw in your yard. Oh, yeah. Well, that's ongoing. You see, we actually sent a complaint to the HOA. They sent them a letter of complaint, and the guy said he doesn't smoke. Problem solved. So we actually had to catch him on video, and we sent the video in. We're waiting to hear back on that. So what happened at this homeowners association meeting on Friday night? What happened? Well, the reason why everybody went was because they're trying to raise our rates. We already have the highest rates in the area. So they had this whole budget presentation, and I had a big problem with it. I had problems with their math. Some of their figures didn't add up. It was actually me and an Indian guy went through the budget line by line and did our own computations. Holy moly. And we both came up with, like, serious issues. And then one guy on the board actually has issues with it as well. Here's the scary part. With 100% certainty, without ever hearing either side, Sean and the Indian guy are right. Oh, no question. Absolutely. I don't know one thing about it, and I already know Sean and the Indian guy are right, which tells me...
that when confronted by this, the HOA is going to be defensive and probably realizing they're wrong and embarrassed in the midst of it. And what do you do when you're in that situation? You dig your heels in and you can't give up. Yeah, that's exactly what happened. Oh, no. But the reason why I got so upset is because these people who are on the board right now are not elected. Our neighborhood is new, and so they were put in charge by the property management company until we can have elections. Our elections are this week. So last week, what they were saying was, we're going to pass this budget no matter what you guys say. And that's what the head of the HOA told me, because I went up to speak like everybody gets their turn to speak. And when my time expired, they asked me to sit down. I said, I will not sit down. I will not sit down until you agree not to pass this budget and let the elected people who are coming in next week deal with it. I like it. I don't want you guys passing anything at all. You're not elected by us. You have no authority to do it. Well, you have authority, but you don't have a mandate from the masses. You don't have a mandate from any of the homeowners. So don't do anything. Leave it alone. Let it lie. Right, right. And what do they say to you?
The guy told me, he goes, well, the bottom line is I'm going to pass this tonight no matter what. I said, well, you know, that's a real a-hole move. And the guy goes, well, let's keep this civil. I said, keep this civil? I said, you just told me no matter what we say, you're going to pass this. I go, I'm not sitting down and I'm not moving. I said, and furthermore, why don't you think about, because everybody on the board lives in our area, you have to. I said, why don't you think about how it's going to be if you pass this? And you're driving through the neighborhood. And he goes, what does that mean? That sounds like a threat, John. I'm out of order. You're out of order. This whole damn thing is out of order. So the guy goes, are you threatening me? I said, no, I'm not threatening you. I said, but you have to live in the area that we live in. I go, do you think when I'm walking down the street that I'm going to say hello to you? That I'm going to be nice to you? That I'm going to wave to you? I said, absolutely not. My wife goes, she goes, yeah, have fun going through the neighborhood, dude. Oh, my goodness. So then this redheaded guy who was sitting in the homeowner's area, he pipes up and he goes, well, you know, these people up on the board, they have a point. And my wife turns around because she used to be on the board. My wife turns around and looks at him and he goes.
She goes, you know what? Why don't you shut up? Your wife is one of the board members, and you're just supporting her. So why don't you sit down and shut your mouth? Yeah. Oh, my goodness. This is crazy. I know. And so then the guy, the head of the board goes, you know what? Both of you are ejected from the meeting. I go, move me. No! Yes, they just sit in, Sean. What the hell? And we all just looked at each other for like a minute, just staring at each other. Wow. No words, no nothing. Oh, my God. Wow. And so finally I go, I think I've made my point. You guys better not pass this tonight. And I yield the rest of my time to, and I forgot the guy's name, like Sindar or something like that, to do with the turban. And he came up, and he started railing on him. What? Wow. And so at the conclusion of the meeting, they passed that GD budget. Oh. Really? Shut up. Furious. Furious. So now we're getting a petition together. We've got to get only 5% of the homeowners to overturn their decision. And that happens this week. Oh, my goodness. This is crazy. Oh, my God. Oh, I wish I was in that room and all that went down. Furious. Here's the thing.
calmest non-confrontational non-confrontational until you get him to it if you get in his craw and he is upset about something and feels injustice is being served he will he will combat well i see i think that part of it is that and it's part of the personality when you have a personality that never confronts and always yields If you get them to a place where they're ready, it's all of that yielding comes bubbling to the surface. Yeah, that's true. And so, what a crazy story. That is really crazy. Good for you, Sean. Now, I have a question. Go ahead. Are you guys looked at in that, like, with everybody that was there, are you guys, like... looked at as like the crazy ones or are they no no in fact when i was up there and i was doing my whole thing there were people in the homeowner's area going yeah yeah come on so were you like they were applauding you and uh there were no applause but yeah people were going yeah yeah yeah and uh there was one lady in particular that was like he has a point he has a point
Wow, I don't know what kind of accent that is, but whatever it was, she thought he had a point. He had a point. No, he has a point. She was like Persian. He has a point. He has a point. He has a point. Wow. Where do you live? The United Nations. I live in the Bay Area. Oh, that makes sense. Awesome. Well, we've all lived in the Bay Area. Unfortunately. Shut up. I'm glad I don't live there anymore. I love living in San Diego. Much better. It's so much better. It makes me happy. Shut up. I was unhappy living there. Stop it. Let's see. Shirk. P1 Nasty. I just got a question for Shawnee, oh boy. Go ahead. He's been known to be pretty cheap. Pants and everything like that. What's the old rate and then what's the new rate? Are we talking about like two bucks here, five bucks to pay for the extra work or something like that? How much was it going to go up in the HOA, Sean? Well, I mean, the amount that it was going to go up wasn't really the point. Oh, no. Hold on. Oh, I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. He has a point. He has a point. Please speak. Please. How much? Yeah. Hold on. Hold on.
Nasty, I'm so glad you called. He has a point. I am so glad you called. Let him finish. Can I please? Yes, you can. Okay, hold on. The whole point of this thing. It was nothing. It was so little amount it was going up. There's no doubt about it. Let's let him speak. No, there's no need. No, Sean. I want to hear. He wouldn't have reacted like this, Sky, Eddie. He would have been like, oh my gosh, it was going up $100 a month. Mine just went up $20 a month. And I was like, ah. They do, man. They do. They go up. Sean, how much? But wait. I can't wait. Please find out, Mike. Please find out. Oh, everybody. You got it. Oh, Sean. How much? Can I please speak first? Oh, sure. Absolutely. Okay. The whole point of this thing is that. They made some financial mismanagement decisions, and the budget that they presented to us had serious flaws in it. Okay. It had actual calculatory flaws, and it also had philosophical flaws. Understandable. So the total that we were going to go up... Uh-huh.
Was $7. Oh, come on. You're the best. You are the best. Hold on. Are you joking? You don't let Halliburton roll over like that, Sean. Can you please hold on? He can't be serious. He is serious. I still support him. I support him 100%. Yes, you do. Can you please hold on a second? He got ejected from the HOA meeting over $7. A month. No, no. It's not over $7 only. There's an issue with the budget. However, that's just to start. There will also be inflation raises in the future. How much? So you take that $7. Well, whatever inflation is, 2%, something like that. 1.5%, something like that. So it could be like potentially $8 by 2020. $7.25. I still support you. There are other issues related to this. It doesn't have to go up. And furthermore, again, like I said before, we have the highest.
Oh, my gosh. It's $7 this time, but who knows next time? Oh, I know. Next time it could be $7.40. Dude. It's like Tiananmen Square. He's standing in front of the bank. Move me. Move me. I stand in defiance. I don't pay your $7. No, $7. I don't pay your $7. I'm in defiance of you. With your fee. Seven of this old dollar. are extenuating circumstances. Oh, extenuating circumstances. Yes. What, do they have to be in $2 bill form? Like what? Like what? Are they making you pay it in like, you know, Cougaran? Yeah. Because that's a pain in the butt. I would fight that. That's crazy. That's his guy. You did the right thing, Sean. You're something else, Sean. I support you, Sean. You don't have the whole story. Oh, no. Hey, listen. The craziest part of it, he did all this in a panda suit. Wait. I didn't hear that. Speaking of pandas...
They are allowing San Diego citizens to name a panda at the San Diego Zoo, right? Sean, Sean, Sean. It has to be. Can't we vote? Well, we can vote, but we can only vote from the top choices they've given us. There's no write-in? Well, no, that portion is over. We talked about that before. But now you have to vote from the top four, and I have the top four picks here for you. Why don't we get on it now? We'll say, no, we won't accept this. We'll be like Sean. We say we will not accept it. But we already had our time. Move me. Move me, Panda. Yeah, you say that. We'll do it. Where I'm from, a retarded guy could never have this much fun. It's Mikey. My son Joey and I were out at the dunes in Glamis when we spotted this family bottomed out on a sand dune in their Chevy Silverado. My Nissan Titan had higher clearance than the Chevy, so I just hooked up some towing cables and I pulled him right off of that dune. I was proud of my Titan's V8, and Joey was proud of his old man.

Like five days ago. And I just went in yesterday and got it all set up. How much money did they save you? They saved me $2,000 a year. I got back for my third tour in Iraq in October, okay? A&E says they have pulled Dog the Bounty Hunter off the air indefinitely. LSU replaces number two Boston College in the BCS. Ohio State still is on top. Want to hear a crazy statement? I'd love to. I do not believe that Dog the Bounty Hunter is racist.
You ready? Yeah. He's like a prison guy. He's a guy that's been in prison. I believe that it is definitely the way that he talks. But something struck me over the weekend. You know when he did the tacky move where he had his black pastor make a comment for him? Right. Tacky. Yeah. But I don't think that a racist has a black pastor. Like, I don't think you'd stand for it if you're really a racist. There's a lot of choices. I don't think you have a black pal. I think he's an idiot. And I think that he's self-destructive. And I think that what he said was wrong. But do I... And the thing that... I kind of had this thought. Like when I heard it, I was like, hmm. Then my mother-in-law and I started talking about it. And she goes... She said the same thing. I said, I think he's dumb. I think he...
comes from a place where words like that with every race, that that's just the way that he talks. And I do believe he didn't trust this girl. And it didn't have to do... I don't believe it was a matter of... I think it was a matter of he didn't trust her. Don't you think, though, there's degrees of racism? And I think there has to be... you know, some sort of racism in there if, you know, you really break down what he said. Here's the thing. Like, no doubt about it. Yes. In fact, I agree with you. But this reminded me so much of the Mel Gibson thing. When Mel Gibson was saying all the crazy anti-Semitic remarks, like, here's what I think about Mel Gibson, because maybe you didn't hear when I was talking about Mel Gibson. I don't think that Mel Gibson was anti-Semitic. I think that Mel Gibson made a movie and a bunch of Jews attacked him for the movie and he had all of that in him. And so I don't think that he had a hate for Jews as a blanket statement. I think that that hurt him and you combine that with self-destructiveness and alcohol and you get...
idiot and with this thing with um dog i think he comes from a weird environment like uh you know thug prison stuff talks like that and had this left this message for his kid and meant every word of it but I don't believe that he actually hates black people. To me, the definition of racism is hatred towards a group. And Eddie, I think you're right, dude. I think that there's degrees of it. Because he's not Klan level. No, definitely not. No, but I also don't think that he's blanketly... I think that he's racist enough to be able to use the word. Yeah, and I think that there is a... But you've got to all ask yourself, have you ever used the word in a joking way? Everybody has to ask themselves if you've ever... I've used the word spic. I've used the N-word. I've used every word derogatory in the context of humor at one time or another, my own race included. No, I'm saying it.
I have. But you would never tell your kid to not date somebody because of their race. No, I would not. No, I would not. However, I also am not from a... I'm nowhere near the kind of environment that this guy is about. He's from a whole other kind of lifestyle environment. Now, this is a question that my wife asked me in the middle of this conversation with my mother-in-law. She goes... So do you think that he deserves all this stuff going on? And I'm like, hey, he said it. You know what I mean? Like, he said it. You reap what you sow. What are you going to do? You know, he said it. Yeah, and for some reason, and, you know, I don't know Dog the Bounty Hunter. I wasn't there. I don't know. But I feel class plays a lot into it. Like, if you are not well off, you are considered the N-word to him. If you're black. If you're black. But if you are well off, if you're a professional, then you're not. And he wouldn't refer to you that way. That's just, for some reason, that's the way I interpret it. So again, going back to different levels of racism, you know, because you made a great point by saying if he was really the hardcore racist that, you know, that we assume he is based on hearing those tapes, he wouldn't have an African-American. Well, you know, racism is hatred and it is also ignorance. Oh, definitely. And he definitely falls into the ignorant category. Totally. This is the deal, though.
I think that a lot of people may see, like, I'm really glad you said that thing, man, about the levels, because I think that a lot of people would have put him in the top level after hearing the audio. Would have put him into, this guy just, you know, categorically, this dude is just a racist that hates black people. especially after hearing the audio, it'd be pretty easy to say that. But then when you think about it a little bit and you break it down and you take his past into account, well, and I shouldn't say his past, when you take his environment into account, it's kind of like the Michael Vick dogfighting thing. In the South, man, that's not as big a story as it is out here. Because in the South, Everybody knows dogfighting goes on. It doesn't mean everybody is down with dogfighting. They just know it goes on. It's kind of like when people from the East Coast come out here and there's earthquakes and there's wildfires. People are like, how do you live here? Everybody's like, it's the way of life. This is just how we grew up. I think that for a guy in his environment, he is not a, I don't believe.
Hey, listen, I'm going to say this right off the bat. My mother-in-law said this too. We could totally be wrong. He could actually be like the worst racist and his skinhead and Nazi and whatever. We don't even know it. He could be. I'm just saying that after kind of thinking about it a little bit, I was like, I don't know that dude would have a black pastor if he was truly in his heart. black people are disgusting to me. I hate them, blah, blah, blah. I just don't think he would. But I also think what you said is right, Eddie. Like there's levels, degrees, whatever. He obviously feels comfortable enough using the word and he obviously feels comfortable enough saying to his son, hey, I'm not going to let you in my life. But see, that was the thing. When me and my mother-in-law were talking about this, we were talking about it was not necessarily the fact that she was like, I don't want any black people around me. It wasn't that. It was, I don't trust this chick. And I think he really didn't trust her. Well, why? Because he uses the word, the N-word. Absolutely. But I think that it wasn't like all people will, all black people will. I think that there may have been somebody that in Dog's mind, he felt comfortable like he wasn't being set up and he talks like he talks and he would feel like he's not going to get set up.
And I think that with her, he felt like he could potentially be set up by her. That's what I think. I mean, do you think there's any African-American person that could be in their lives, in their circle, that wouldn't out that story? Yeah. You know who? Who? People that have been in prison. People that have lived the way he has. People like comedians that you hear use the word. People that are in his environment. And I think that this girl that his son is dating is not a part of that environment. Now that you say that, it makes me think that girl could have even been rich, wealthy, and well-off, and that scared him the most because he thought, she's not going to get it, man. She doesn't know where I'm from, what I'm about, how I talk. She's not going to get it. Eddie's right. I think he's ignorant, if nothing else. He's ignorant. He's got a different past than most of us do. The guy came from a different kind of thing. Now, I'm also telling you that... I don't know too much about him other than what I've said, that he was in prison and that he kind of has this, that's his lifestyle. But my mother-in-law, who's really disappointed, like so bummed out, she loves the show. Oh, really? Yeah, and she says, which I don't know anything about this. I'm just repeating what I've heard. She says that he really does want people to change their lives for the better and stuff like that, which I have no idea about that. It's true. That is true?
Yes. Like, what's his deal? He's like a do-gooder or something? Yeah, I mean, the thing is, like, after they capture these guys, they obviously have to take them, you know, back to prison or to jail and submit them. During those rides home, he does, like, this whole counseling thing where, you know, he tries to, you know, show them that there's a better path. He's been where they are. You know, they can get out of this. They can fix this. They can do better. You know, that kind of thing. Mm. And for some people, it seems like it works. Others don't listen. But he always tries. I'm sure it's all over for Dog. Right? I mean, over. Like, what can you do? Like, what kind of job can you get now? No network's going to take him on. Don't we have some latest news on him or something? Yeah, well, A&E, the network that does Dog the Bounty Hunter, announced that they have... pulled uh the show from their schedule indefinitely so they haven't actually said hey we're canceling the show but i mean they're taking every single step that leads up to cancellation so yeah he could maybe be a bounty hunter somewhere again but as far as being in the entertainment world and being on tv yeah i think that's probably over yeah eddie not to uh to kind of change the subject here or anything but i have some news
about television i don't know if you guys want to hear about or not about man versus wild oh i do i do oh yeah i i got i'm right there with you okay did you see it yeah let's talk about that let's take a couple phone calls about this because people are calling in about this but yeah dude i saw man versus wild this weekend uh we'll tell you in a minute uh p1 italo hey mikey how's it going good man hey um well about the whole dog thing i've been watching the show a lot and i mean He hasn't come straight out and said he's a Christian, but he does strike me as the kind of person. He does, like Sean was saying, he does pray with the people that he takes to jail before he drops them off. And then there was that whole deal before when, I guess, he went to go extradite someone from Mexico, and he went to jail for that. And he just doesn't, I mean, he strikes me as a very smart guy, but it just, it's kind of baffling, and it's almost like, it's almost like things are set up against him. You know what I mean? Let me tell you. Let me tell you, I am self-destructive. And I believe that there are many people who are self-destructive. And I have come, like I have made mountains of progress in terms of my self-destructiveness. But I used to go out of my way to put things,
Because I want to live the way I want to live, I would put things in a, organize things in a way that would lead me to nothing but no good. And I think some people do that. I think that some people are also like, there's something about bringing on the pain to themselves that they're just real good at doing and I'm one of them. I'm real good at it. I know how to bring pain to myself. And I think that a dog knows how to bring pain to himself. I think that Gibson knows how to bring pain to himself, and some people are just, they're self-destructive, you know? Yeah, you know, I guess my whole point with him is, you know, watching the show, I'm not a consistent watcher of it, but, you know, obviously I watch it when I turn the channel and he's there. I guess there's just something good about someone who really tries to better other people, especially people that are in a worse situation than he is, and he has the power to help them. And if you watch the show, I mean, he really does go out of his way.
And just simple things like, you know, for a bounty hunter, he doesn't use any lethal force, you know. And whether the legalities of it they're allowed to or not, I don't know. But I know that he's very anti-lethal force, you know. And to me, that says a lot about someone who comes from a hard background like that, you know. Not to mention the fact that he really takes time to counsel these guys. And whether it be, you know, a spectacle just for TV or what, I don't know. You know, I'm not one to judge. But there's just something genuine about him that you can tell. In my eyes. That's what my... You're basically saying what my mother-in-law was saying was that she was really disappointed hearing the stuff that he said because she really did have this feeling that he was a real good guy that was really trying to help people. Maybe he is, man. I mean, maybe he is. I was saying, nobody's perfect and there's good and bad sides to all of us. So, here's what I got. First of all, your phone calls. 570-1053. Mikey Show continues. I'm on the rock. That sounded great, didn't it? They sounded so good together. Welcome back. It is 827. A Nebraska teacher who fled to Mexico with a 13-year-old boy has been taken into custody and is currently in jail in El Centro. Well, too bad Boston Rob is off because we would absolutely love to hear his great take on the Patriots and how they're still unbeaten and beat Peyton Manning and blah, blah, blah, but whatever. He's gone, so...
New England, they came back in the fourth quarter, beat Indianapolis 24-20, remain unbeaten. Before we went to break, we were asking listeners, so what's the deal? What do you think about this dog, the bounty hunter? You know, he's on this voicemail to his son using the N-word. He's mad at his son. He's saying, you know, you're dating this girl. She's the N-word. want her around here. I'm not going to risk everything I have of her hearing me talk that way and blah, blah, blah. I said this morning, I said, what if it's a matter of this is kind of the environment he comes from where that is the way that people talk around him. He came from prison. You know, what do people think of it? So I'm asking people to call 570-1053. Now, if you didn't hear
The voicemail that he left. Take a listen. I'm not taking a chance on some mother out here. She's a Mexican, a whore, whatever. It's not because she's black. It's because we use the word sometimes here. I'm not going to take a chance ever in life of losing everything I've worked for for 30 years because some heard us say and turned us into the Enquirer magazine. Our career is over. I'm not taking that chance at all. Never in life. Never. Never. If Lisa was dating a ****, we would **** you. And you know that. Lisa brought a black guy home. Yeah, it's not that they're black. It's none of that. It's that we use the word ****. We don't mean you **** scum **** without a soul. We don't mean that ****. But America would think we mean that. We're not taking a chance on losing everything over a racial slur. Your son goes with a girl like that. I can't do that, Tucker. You can't expect Gary, Bonnie, Cecily, all them young kids.
Because I'm in love for seven months. I get another job, but you cannot work here unless you break up with her. And she's out of your life. I can't handle that. Now, one thing that I said this morning was, I think it was really tacky when he had his pastor, who is black, come out and defend him. But one of the things that I said that struck me this weekend was, well, would a guy with true hatred in his heart for a particular race ever have a black pastor? And the guy clearly knows him. We heard audio of him this weekend. He is his pastor. Eddie made a point of, you know, there could be levels of racism. And I agree with that. If anything, he's ignorant. This guy.
um well you know how we were having the discussion was it this particular girl or is it african-american people in general and from listening back to that again it sounds like it's african-american people in general not just this one girl because he was saying hey if your sister ever brought home a black guy we'd all sit her down and have a talk with her too you know and then he also in the beginning of the voicemail said i don't care if she's a mexican or a whore again you know a racist Hey, listen, I said that I think that that audio is some of the craziest audio I've heard in 20 years of doing radio. So anyway, P1 Know-It-All, are you there? Yeah, I'm online. Hey, I just want to say, obviously, the guys are racist. You know, we know going through history that there are a lot of people who were racist. There were church-going people. and there are even some uh... white people who love their black slave they would treat them really nice better than the other slave that make him any less racist nonetheless so there's because he may do good deeds of the make another racist person his comments speak for his character and personality and he got a little more upset over that and shot it over the seven dollar argument at his little meeting today but mikey i noticed you have a propensity uh... uh... uh... you have a habit of wanting to give you know white people sometimes more of the benefit of the doubt than definitely uh... when the minority
person or a black person does something, say, as rappers or things that may seem more ignorant to you, why is it that you have a tendency to want to give more benefit of doubt to people who you think should be giving that doubt to? Can you give me an example? Well, okay, for one, the guy, the idiot who made the comments, what was that radio disc jockey about the nappy he had at home? Imus. Are you kidding me? Everybody's like, why should he get in trouble? Why should he lose his job? Because he made a stupid comment, and it was hurtful, and basically, You know, you're saying that he has a right to make his comments. Well, guess what? People have the right to have their opinions, too. And our opinion was we want him fired. So guess what? His comments were freedom of choice, and our freedom of choice was to get him out of there. P1 know-it-all. I said that. Like, I was very clear that he has every right in the world to say what he says, but in this country, there's going to be backlash. You didn't say that, right? Yeah, I mean, that's just life. But then you still kind of, you were kind of defending him, saying how, well, basically he was just making a dumb joke. And to be honest with you, I didn't take it that way. I took it like if I was one of a nappy-headed hoes, and I would have been very offended and upset that comment. And basically, it was, you know, you got to be PC to a point where you got to not just be for the use of that word, but you got to be respectful to people. And, you know, I'm mixed race. I'm half black and I'm half white.
So I kind of get it from both sides. You know, black people tell me I'm not black. White people tell me I'm not white. So, you know, I kind of get racist in both ways. And I understand how it goes. But in all reality, racism exists. And you can be, he's a closet racist to me, basically. And that's one of the problems we have here in San Diego. Whereas in the South, you can be a racist. You can be really open about it out there. But out here in San Diego, you got to be real PC about it. So if you're going to be a racist, you have to be a closet racist. You can't go around and bragging about how you hate, you know, black people. Or they use the N-word, for instance. Well, let me tell you, I get Mexican people that think that I'm not Mexican enough. And I'm telling you, I'm not half and half. My mother is Mexican, my father is Mexican, and I'm talking Mexican. I mean, I'm talking like... Came here on Burroughs kind of Mexican. You know what I'm saying? Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. So I don't have any other blood except for Mexican. And I guess from people all the time, from Mexican people, that I'm not Mexican enough. And I agree. I don't even fight it. I just say, yeah, you're right. You win. You're way more Mexican than I am.
I never got that argument. Why does that mean? You're a bad person because you're not Mexican? If my dad got that, if anybody said to my dad that he was not as much of a Mexican as they were, he'd fight till the very end to prove to them that he's more Mexican than they are. That's a thing with my dad. My dad is very fiercely proud of being Mexican. He is really into being Mexican. He reads things about the history of being Mexican. Me, I could care less. I couldn't care less. You got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, my dad, he wishes that I would take up more for the Mexican cause. He's upset that I'm conservative. He believes that, you know, the laws on immigration should be loosened. We're very, we disagree. We disagree. But, hey, listen, listen, you're entitled to your opinion, and I think you're a good P1. Thank you, P1. I'm a long-time listener. I love the show. Thank you, brother. No problem. We'll see you. And I didn't mean brother like as... Oh, my. Racist. Get the employer on the phone. Get him on the phone. P1 Kevin. Hey, Mikey. How you doing, bud? Good, man. Well, I'm going to keep it simple, and this is coming from a person who doesn't watch the show at all. But as a 21-year-old, like you said, we all feel comfortable using those words with our friends and humor and stuff like that. And I feel that he was talking to his son where he wasn't, he didn't feel like he was being set up at all, and he was feeling comfortable in what he was saying. So I agree with you. I don't think he was racist at all. I don't think he is racist. I'm sorry. See, I'm not necessarily saying I don't think he's racist at all. Listen, if any of us listening have ever made a joke and it's used a racial slur, we are to a degree racist. No doubt about it. I've done it. So Eddie brought up the point of there's like degrees of racism.
But we all want to think of ourselves as well. We're not really like we made these jokes, but we're not racist. You know, we're making jokes. Dog, the bounty hunter, what he was doing was he was telling his son who he can date and who he can't date based on the color of somebody's skin. It's just a higher level. It's just a higher level of racism. But make no mistake about it. If I've made a joke that involves a racial slur to a degree, I have exhibited racism. You know, racism by definition is hatred. And so some people can make the argument of, well, you're not being hateful, you're making a joke. Okay. But try to explain that to P1 Know-It-All that was just on the line that said that he was hurt by Imus' remarks. Try to explain that to him. Yeah, you're definitely going to get different opinions from maybe somebody of that race. But, I mean, yeah, the whole level of racism, different degrees, that totally makes sense to me. But I felt like he... was talking to his son, and this would be a private conversation between him and his son where he wasn't going to be set up and put out like that. So that's okay to you? No, I didn't say it's okay. That's not right at all. But I'm just saying that obviously he thought this was going to be a private conversation between him and his son, and he wouldn't be put out.
Well, then I don't understand your point, because I initially thought you were defending him, saying if it's a private conversation, then that's acceptable. So I don't understand what point you're trying to make. I'm saying that, like Eddie said, there's definitely a level of degree. So what's your point about the private conversation? Because he felt comfortable enough to use those words. Like myself, being a 21-year-old, immature, I guess you could say, talking amongst my friends, using jokes and stuff like that. Using those words, and I'm not racist by any means, but everybody does that. Yeah, I disagree. Sky does not do that. I definitely do not do that. Sky does not do that. I do not do that. I'm sure Sky doesn't. Well, I mean, but... Well, you just said everybody. You just said everybody, and the truth is that there are a lot of people like Sky that don't make those jokes, have never made those jokes, and will never make those jokes, and who don't laugh at those jokes. And, you know, I give her a hard time on this show, but I think that is a very admirable...
You know, I mean, I really do. I think it's a very admirable thing. You know, anyway, this is, a lot of people are going to be, we can debate this until the cows come home. But I think that a lot of people were curious, like, what was the deal with Man vs. Wild? Yeah, what are you talking about? Holy cow. What's going on? I watched it this weekend, and the episode that I re-watched was the one where he was in the Alps. He was in the European Alps. And as they come back from commercial... So this is a rerun you're watching? Yeah, they're all reruns. In fact, a new season begins Friday. Well, this is a special where Bear goes to Everest. So it's a special... Is that a hotel? It's not Man vs. Wild. It's a special where it's Bear in Everest. Okay, because... Well, wait a minute. Now they've been saying... Oh. Shut up. I thought it was a resort. You're pissing me off already. Now, wait a second. Now, wait a second. Now, wait a second. Now, what they've been saying on Discovery, though, is that all new episodes are about to begin of Man vs. Wild. Like, he's going to the Saharan Desert. I think he's going to Paraguay. Panama. Something starts with a P. Philadelphia. Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh? That is scary. Yes, me and Eddie have been there like 2 o'clock in the morning. Frightening. Yes. Good luck surviving. But anyway, so as they come back from commercial on the reruns, they put this thing on the screen, and it says, it's very cleverly worded. It's long. It's long. And it's very, very well worded. And it says, and I'm paraphrasing because I'm trying to remember exactly how it says it, but it says, in essence, in certain instances, Bear was presented with situations so that he could demonstrate survival techniques. In certain instances, Bear was presented with situations that would allow him to demonstrate survival techniques, which I read and thought, what a bummer. Honestly, I thought, what a bummer that they have to put that. Because I don't need to know. I don't want to know. The only reason they're having to do it is because he, what they're saying is, hey, when Bear shows you how to get onto a horse that's not broken, like a wild horse, the horse was not necessarily just roaming around in the wild. We brought the horse to Bear without a saddle and he had to try to get on it.
So that's one thing they say. Okay. Another thing that they say, very cleverly worded is, they say, no one should ever attempt any of these things without the advice from a professional, which is their way of saying, bear God advice from professionals. Would you agree, Eddie? Because that was one of the big things was that people had, like consultants had showed him how to build a raft. So instead of them saying, hey just so you we're up front about this sometimes people show bear how to do stuff and then he shows you what they say is no one should ever attempt to try any of these things without enlisting the help of a professional and to me that's almost a normal disclosure it is if you're watching like you don't have to say yeah you don't have to say well no but like if you're watching jackass on mtv i don't even know if that's on the air anymore but you know it'll say do not try this at home right you know it's it and so they never did that before they know no oh no and
That's why I said it's very clever. It comes across like the jackass disclaimer. But what they're really doing is letting you know that sometimes a professional... But I don't care. I saw Bear take a trout, wiggling around in his hands, stick it in his mouth, bite down on it, and squeeze it while he's biting until the gut squirted out of the side. That's awesome. So... I watched a couple episodes this weekend. I don't even know why, because I've seen them all. But I watched the one where he goes to Alaska. And I think they redubbed some stuff. Really? Well, they definitely redubbed The Open. I could tell that it wasn't. He says the same thing, but he must have said something that's left out. I'm going to have to compare him. Really? Because I'm so used to hearing The Open to that show, I could tell it was different. Yeah. When he said, I'm Bear Grylls. I've spent time in the British Special Forces. I've drank my own urine. I've had sunburns in the Saharan and had to spray a water bottle full of my own urine on it. Okay, I don't think he says that. I've been to bathhouses. I've done every dangerous thing.
that you could ever think of ever. I don't think that's... So it's very different. So he's fishing in Alaska, and he's made this spear that's got a two-pronged thing so that you can trap the salmon. Well, he's not able to do it. He's not able to get the salmon. And so he says, well, I finally give up, but one of my crewmates was able to get one. Really? And I do not remember him doing that from the beginning. Wow. I know for a fact. Yeah, and it caught me so off guard, I rewound it and went, what did he just say? Like, he didn't capture it? I don't remember that from the first one. There's no way that happened. So he redubbed it saying, I didn't do it, but my crew man got one. He was luckier. You know what? Even knowing that, I'm still all in. Oh, so am I. Oh, well, like you could have. It's just, I'm like, now they have to go back and redub these and like, oh. Now, do you guys think that this makes the show like, Less or not as good? Yeah. Just makes it more honest, I think. Yeah, I think that's great. Oh, man. It doesn't matter to me. It doesn't matter to you. You're still getting the same great thing. The people who it does matter to, they're stoked. So now everybody's happy. I wish that they didn't. You know what? I kind of wish that you did, like, pull the wool a little bit more over my eyes. I enjoyed it. But, you know, I think I might have liked it more. Thinking that he caught that salmon may have been more fun for me.
than knowing that it was one of his mates that caught it. It's just more cool thinking that he is, because I do believe he could catch a salmon. My wife loves to wind me up about Bear Grylls. She lives to wind me up about Bear Grylls. And so she goes, she goes, yeah, she goes, you know, the thing is, is that I just really think that when he caught that trout, that it was probably somebody else that caught that trout and he's pretending and i'm like you know i'm counting to 10 and i'm like i'm like you're not gonna rope me in on this and so i say to her i say well honey i said that still does not change the fact that you know he was really crazy and ate the fish you know alive and all that stuff she goes well yeah that's fine she goes i'm just saying that somebody could really get hurt out in the wild trying to think that they could do that and spend all that time when they could be actually spending time trying to really help themselves, and they're spending time on something fake that he taught you that you can't really do. And I'm like, and I'm really trying to get my, oh, she wants to wind me up. I want a piece of that. That's ridiculous. And I said, I go, what are you thinking about? They're not wasting their time. You can do what he did. He's showing you how to do it. And she goes, yeah, that's what I said. And she goes,
Yeah. You mean some professional put a fish on his line for NMRS? He's the professional. Come on. I can't take this. All right. Here's the deal. Bears Mission Everest, that debuts on Friday, and new episodes also debut on Friday and are on every Friday after that. Okay. It's Sahara this Friday, Desert Survivor the next week. I don't know what that is. That's when they visit the sands in Las Vegas. Yeah. and then two-part Panama. You're such a jerk. I know. I heard so much of that this weekend. I heard so much of that this weekend. She shows you how to play craps. I said to her, I said to Rebecca, I go, it doesn't change the fact that he eats fish with his bare hands. She goes, yeah, he also eats from the buffet at the Ramada Inn. And I go, you know what? You're just being a jerk. You're trying to... obviously winding me up. P1DL. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? What's up, man? I've seen a video on YouTube about some viewers who showed one of the fake scenes they had on Man vs. Wild. It was in the lava fields where he shows her how to walk over the lava bridge. And the viewer does the same thing. He walks over the lava bridge and the guy holding the camera pans off into the distance and you see cars rolling by on a freeway not too far away.
So what's the point? What is the point of that? Is that he was trying to show a survival technique. You know, he's trying to pretend that he was in the wild. Yeah, flag down a car. I suggest that. So in other words, he showed you how to walk on it. And so that didn't matter? Yeah. That he showed you how to do it? It's not any less of what he's doing. He's showing you what to do. I appreciate the survival technique, but it just kind of, you know. What you're saying is I wish he would do it too. Is what you're saying. But he did. I mean, we saw the episode. His feet catch on fire. His shoes catch on fire. He did. It's just that, you know, it kind of breaks the illusion. You know, I really appreciate what he does, but it just kind of, you know, kills a little bit when you know that it was all kind of fake. I'm more mad at the people trying to show me the illusion. Let me just keep seeing him. Thank you. Do stuff. Quit trying to ruin it. P1 Coach. Hey, guys. What's up? Morning. You know, I'm with you guys. I'm all in. We DVR, and we watch them over and over again. And we were watching the episode you were talking about, Mike, just a second ago, with the trout and the finger in the gall, and he tried to, first of all, he was chasing the wolf, and he tried to get a rabbit. He's walking back to the hole, and he goes, didn't get any rabbit, and I didn't get any trout. The next thing you see is him laying on the ice, popping that trout, which is awesome, with the gut squirting out. Before he said that, he said, I made this fishing line and these hooks for my...
For my parachute. Right. And the hooks were all the same size with the treble. You know, with the little notch that comes down the bar. He's right. You don't make all those, but I don't care. Now, that's what, now, wait. My son's 13. We watch that show instead of watching junk. Now, wait a minute. I don't care. See, I'm with you. I don't care. See, my wife said the same thing. She goes, look at those hooks. Yeah. She goes, they look like they just came from a bait and tackle shop. Yeah, but they didn't, this is the thing that cracked me up. And they did. I mean, they're staying with steel. Yeah, well. They're the same freaking size and there's 20 of them. Here's the deal. When he says, thank you for the call. Well, they come in a pack. Right? When he says, RJ was having a sale. When he says you could fashion hooks, I believe him. I believe you could fashion hooks. I believe you could fashion hooks and catch fish from them. A professional could. Well, I don't, I do not believe. He's a professional. I wonder if Spencer and Heidi from the Hills are going to show up in the new season. What are you talking about? Who knows? If they go out far enough, they might see Survivorman out there. Oh, he blows. No, he does not. He's the best. So boring. So boring. Not boring at all. I wish he would be left out there. Hey, I saw him do something similar. I saw him do something similar. He's out there. And I guess the only thing you can say about it is, oh, at least he's honest about it. He's out in like a...
like a raft floating out in the middle of the ocean, and he talks about how the seas got real rough, so they came and got him, took him in for the night, and then the next day they take him back out and dump him again. Yeah. And I'm like, that's just kind of boring, you know? Like, whatever. Wow. You're really brave. So he didn't survive? No. So it's like... He would have died. Yeah. True. Good. I wish he would have. The show should be... I wish he would have. Why did you hit us? What did he do to do? Why isn't the show called Rescue Man? Yeah. So people with boring shows deserve to die? That's what you're saying, Eddie. All right. Yes. With 100% conviction, yes. You won Justin. Hey, Mikey, what's up? What's up, man? Hey, I just want to say that, like, you know, because since they came out and they pretty much, you know, through magical words, they basically admitted that it was pretty much fake. I just think that takes away, like... the coolness and the mystery and the awe of watching it. Because it's like, well... But bro, you realize though, Justin, it is like, it's not fake. What it is, is that there are things that you don't know that have helped. But it isn't fake when he cuts the pelt off of a rotting corpse of an animal and sleeps under it. That's not fake. Yeah, that's true. And the thing that I like about... He's not really going out there and he's not in real...
actual, you know, like, true danger, I guess, you know. Listen to this, Justin. Okay. Eddie, I know you don't know the actual number, but take a guess. How many episodes do you think that there have been of Man vs. Wild? There's probably about 25. Okay. They admit, Bear Grylls and the company that produces the show admit that on two occasions, two occasions, he did not sleep out there. The rest of the times, he did sleep out there. They talk about in this disclaimer that because of health and safety standards, they are not sometimes permitted to, I can't remember how they phrase it, but it's something to the effect of because of health and safety standards, sometimes they're not allowed to be out there the whole time. And on two occasions out of maybe 25 episodes of Man vs. Wild, dude stayed at a hotel.
The things that I like about Man vs. Wild are kind of like the same reason Jackass is interesting. You're seeing a guy do crazy things. That's what I like about it. And I have learned stuff. I can go outside. You can put me out in the middle of the desert as long as the sun is up. And because of what I've learned from the TV show Man vs. Wild, I can now tell you which direction is south. I can now use my watch as a compass no matter what. Drop me in the middle of a forest or jungle and I can build a kick-ass shelter. Because of the things he's learned. A man versus world. This guy. I said it was cool. I can see it in your face. Hi, Les Stroud. Stop it. There's a family-friendly TV star who's kind of getting the business right now from the public because he supports smoking marijuana. And I'll tell you what that's about when we come back. It's not the sweater that's making her look fat. It's her fat that's making her look fat. And it only happens on The Mikey Show. Sing it, Joe. Sing it. I'm not afraid of what we'll be. Yeah.
I'm not afraid of dying. Welcome back to the show. It is 9.01. Film and TV writers started striking this morning. Sky, didn't you say that Tina Fey is one of the people now that's striking? Yeah, because Tina Fey is an actress, but she's also a writer. She wrote when she was on SNL. She writes for her TV show that she's on 30 Rock. And so they actually have pictures of Tina Fey out this morning with the rest of the writers with her picket sign walking up and down the street. The writers for both TV and movies are striking on both coasts, both here in California and New York. They're real serious. I'm not messing around. So they say, you know, where we're going to see the effects first is late night television and soap operas because they get, you know, new scripts daily. So depending on how this goes, you know, those shows, those type of shows may go into reruns this week. My friend Laura has been watching the Young and the Restless since the 70s. Holy crap. Oh my gosh. Since the 70s. Wow.
And so she is going to flip out. Oh, yeah. Ooh! Well, and if, you know, and if it goes on long, which is going to suck, you know, a lot of the primetime shows have their shows already done through January or February. But if they don't resolve this, the season can end with, like, tons of questions not answered. You know what I mean? And go into reruns at a part where it's not supposed to go into reruns, you know? So that's going to make a lot of people mad. Speaking of bad TV, Bionic Woman may be the dumbest show I've ever seen in my life. Thank you. Really? Couldn't agree more. I watched a rerun. And it was the one where the truck hits the car? Yeah, that's the pilot. The first episode. Awful. No, it's not. It's awful. It's not awful, actually. It's beyond awful. No, it's not. I'm sitting there watching it. Yes, it is. Oh, no. Hang on. Everyone's fighting. I'm sitting there watching. And I'm going to tell you who the celebrity is, by the way, that's supposed to be family-friendly, that is into pot. I'll tell you who it is in just a second. I'm watching the show, and it made me realize why I only watch reality TV. I hate to see bad actors acting and being very dramatic. Cut 60. That's not real food. What's your problem? You know, Dad didn't try to control me.
Dad trusted me, okay? Dad dropped you off on my doorstep. You want to live with Dad, live with Dad. If you can find him, here's what you do. Look for a big protest rally and find the nearest boss. You think you remember, but you don't. I'm sitting there watching that, and I'm just saying to myself, that's like 10 minutes into the show. And I'm sitting there, and I'm going, just please do some bionic stuff. Yeah, get bionic already. You've got to set up the story. Start doing some bionic things. Sean, that clip sounded like an audition where two people were handed a script that they'd never read and were reading it as they went along. Like reading it in jeans and like tennis shoes. Yeah, the script in one hand, Starbucks in the other. Coffee in one hand, the script in the other. They just had shaken hands. They just met each other. And they're auditioning for the role of Jamie.
Summers and Jamie Summers' sister. And they're like, hey, how are you? It's nice to meet you. I hope we kill it here. You want to do this? Yeah, so we're going to start and then we switch roles? You have to have the visual as well. Television! Go ahead, Sean. What are we missing in terms of... Yeah, sell us on it, Sean. Yeah, sell us on the scene. Well, I mean, you heard the scene, but my point is that you need the visual as well. But explain it. What are we missing in the visual? You're missing their expressions. You're missing their body language. I mean, you're missing half of the equation. But there's shows that we played clips from that you don't need to see. Oh, yeah. Like when we play the clips from Lost or The Office. Sounds great. Yeah, I don't know. Well, there are some that, you know, they have enough dramatic elements in them. Oh, no. $7. $7. What's $7? I don't know. Someone just ran in the studio and said it and ran out. That's so weird. All right. Anyway. Don't check out. No, I love you. Bye, Sean. Know it. Bye, Sean. No.
Yeah, that bionic woman is something else. God awful. No, it's not. And I don't understand who was the genius that cast that girl. It's strange, isn't it? She's so average. You don't buy her at all as the bionic woman. Sean, what do you say to this? I think Lindsay Wagner was average. I think Lindsay Wagner was kind of tough. I think she kind of had this whole tough vibe about her. And this girl... Honestly, I'm like, is this the bionic woman? Or is this a chick from Dawson's Creek? Well, the only thing I would concede on is that she's a little bit young. Yeah, my wife thought the opposite. They say in the show that she's 24 years old, the character. And my wife's like, she's supposed to be 24? And I go, yeah, I'm fine. She goes, she don't look 24 to me.
Sean likes weird TV shows. Well, he likes TV. Every TV show. Everything. Every single thing. All right. Well, we do have to tell you about who this guy is. Who's the person that's in a family-friendly show that apparently is a very, very big supporter of medical marijuana? Dave Coulier. It is not Dave Coulier. Wait, it could be. It is not Dave. That's a good guess. I love weed. It's not Dave Couillet. Oh, weird. It's actually Drew Carey. Whoa. But he just landed that big deal with The Price is Right. That's crazy. Cut four. So I think it's clear by now that the federal government needs to reclassify marijuana. People that need it should be able to get it safely and safely.
and easily. And if that bothers you, if that really makes you nervous that people are out there using marijuana to ease their pain, here's what you do. Drive down any old gas station in America like this one, go inside, buy yourself a nice cold brew, pop the top. They really take the edge off. He's pointing out hypocrisy. When you've seen his glasses, he's very clear he's got glaucoma. Well said. Dude, I like support him 100%. I say, you know, more power to you. That's awesome. But at the same time, you know, from a business standpoint, You know, this is something that, at least in my interpretation, that some of the more conservative Hollywood people aren't going to be a big fan of. If you were the head of whatever... CBS? Yeah, if you were the head of CBS that runs The Price is Right Sky, would you haul him in your office? Would you request an audience? No. Wait. Would you request an audience with Drew? Yeah.
See, it's tough because I have my own agenda. You know what I mean? So if I was the head of CBS, I'd probably be running it into the ground with my own agenda. But if I were to picture somebody who probably really is the head of CBS, yeah, this is going to piss them off. They're going to be like, dude, we just signed you to this billion dollar deal. You're the face of this show, which has been a staple for our network for a long time. And this is what you're going to go do? Yeah, that's... Wow. I could picture you in the office as Drew walks in. You've got one of those long cigarette holders with the cigarette in it. Okay. Weird. And you say, have a seat, Drew. Word with you. Your ash into the... But I only ash with that, with my pointer finger. Yes, with your pointer finger, you ash into a extraordinarily gaudy ashtray. Yes. It's like made of solid gold. Okay. Weird. Don't see that. Your office is deep mahogany. Oh, yeah. With, like, big, heavy red drapes on the windows. Many leather-bound books. Yes, many of them. You say, Drew, let me ask you a question. Oh! Don't sound like that. Who do you think is watching The Price is Red?
It's dark in there. It's dark. If you were filming this, Drew would look real tiny in his chair. It would be smoky. Then when you cut back to Sky, it's a close-up and she looks real big on the screen. Let me ask you a question. Do you think the Price is Right audience is a bunch of pots? She does like a French inhale. Yeah. She opens her mouth and the smoke lingers there for just a second and then she goes, And breathes it in. The real tiny... You want to answer me that one, Drew? How about we go to the Plinko board? We go to the Plinko board and see what it says. All I keep hearing ever since Saturday night, all I've been hearing on little blurbs on...
The internet and on TV is that Brian Williams, the anchor of NBC, was a big hit on Saturday Night Live. It was funny. I heard he was real good. Did you see it, Sky? No, I T-voted, but after what I was reading this morning, yeah, I definitely want to go home and watch that. I heard they did an iPhone commercial spoof that was real funny. Really? We have the audio. I saw it, yeah. Is there anything we should know before you play the audio? I don't think so. I think it's all right. Let's take a listen. Cut three. I'm having date night with my wife. We're at our favorite restaurant when I feel my iPhone vibrate. And I know exactly who it is. I excuse myself when I go to the bathroom. It's a text from this woman I've been seeing on the side. She's beyond hot. She's a little crazy and I like him a little crazy. She's French Canadian. But with the address book feature on my iPhone, I can put her under a different name. I call her Boyd Tinsley. It's the violin player from the Dave Matthews Band. This way my wife will never know. She sends me a picture of her butt. Look at that. You can zoom in. Zoom out. Pinch it. Beautiful. One swipe of my finger, I can delete the entire conversation before I get back to the table. It's like she was never there. She was in Cirque du Soleil. You know what she could do with her body? Oh, God. I wish my wife wasn't pregnant. Oh, God.
Speaking of, there's a lot of celebrities that are really horny right now. That was like the best segue ever. I have three confirmed celebrity pregnancies. Three of them. We got two A-listers and one that's going to make Eddie upset. Oh no. We got three. Gimme, gimme, gimme. Eddie, prepare your heart. Oh, no. Scared. Oh, no. Someone that you care very deeply about is apparently Prego. Oh, no. I'll tell you who all three of these women are when we come back. It's Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios, the official home of my key morning show. That's so funny, it deserves me to throw up. KIOC San Diego's Rock 105.3. Go! Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. My wife and I went to this meeting, and I got in sort of an argument with one of the board members there. The reason why everybody went was because they're trying to raise our rates, and we already have the highest rates in the area. And I had a big problem with it. I went up to speak like everybody gets their turn to speak. And when my time expired, they asked me to sit down. I said, I will not sit down. I will not sit down.
And I'm not moving. I said, and furthermore, why don't you think about how it's going to be if you pass this and you're driving through the neighborhood? And he goes, what does that mean? That sounds like a threat, Sean. Yeah, and so the guy goes, you're out of order. This whole damn show is out of order. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. You just got to hear a little bit about how unreasonable Sean can be. I hope some of you... That's not true. Come on. Hope it hasn't changed your opinion of Sean. Just because Sean threatens somebody doesn't mean that Sean isn't a great person. Wow. What you didn't get to hear in that clip is that Sean got into this fight at his HOA because his HOA was threatening the unthinkable. What was it? They're going to raise the rates. Yeah. Must be a lot of money. Like an outrageous amount or? $7. Okay, wait.
There's more to the story than just the amount that they're raising. $7? There's more to it, dude. I'm not kidding. You threatened someone's life for $7? I never threatened anyone's life. Dude, that's not even funny. It's ridiculous. You're ridiculous. Oh, man. So here are the three women that are pregnant. First of all, Christina Aguilera has now confirmed that she's pregnant. Oh, really? Which is the stupidest, lamest thing I've ever heard in my life. On the delivery table? Yes, exactly. No, the kid's now four years old. Wow, we never would have known. How pregnant is she? Do we know? No. The only, I mean, because basically she did an interview with Glamour Magazine coming up in their next edition that, you know, she confirms it and says that she will enter mommyhood next year. I did not believe that that's, no. I think that she's no less than seven months pregnant. That doesn't even make sense. When the story broke, that wouldn't make sense. Why don't we start talking about it? That would mean that she got pregnant in the month of, what, like March? May. It would mean that she would have gotten pregnant in May if she was going to have a kid in January. And you think it's been longer than that? I think her pants are on fire. I don't know, though. I mean, you say if she's seven months, well, she's got two months to go. You know, and that's the new year. Well, no, no, no.
No, you're right. No, you're right. Yeah, so about seven months. But I wouldn't think that. I would think that she's more like eight months pregnant. Yeah, because she's pretty big for the petite girl she is, you know. Leave her alone! What does petite mean? Small in stature. Gotcha. Kate Blanchett's also pregnant. Oh. Her third baby. Get to the one that I care about. And that one's due in April. Who cares? Okay. Eddie, it's going to break your heart. Don't. Oh. Maybe I don't want to know. You got to know. You might as well know. Giada De Laurentiis. No, dude, no. Giada, Giada. Oh. We had to know it was coming, right? I mean. What does that mean? We had to know it was coming. What do you mean? What does that mean? Because she's in her mid-30s. She's got a tool of a husband. She's a married woman. She seems very in love with her husband. I mean. Oh, he doesn't know how to do it. A mini mini. He doesn't know what? He doesn't know how to do what? Procreate.
Well, obviously he does, unless that's your baby. Oh, it's another Shauna situation. And he claims everybody's babies. Unlike B-Rob. Well, no, I'm just saying. I'm just saying he didn't want to be the daddy. And he wasn't. A mini-mini. Something that I really... My ADD is acting up. Well, because there was something really big that I wanted to talk about. And it may not have even been something that was on the list of things to talk about, but it was something. Oh, I know one thing that I want to talk about. It's how stupid Tyra Banks is. She's doing a show today all about vagina. Like the whole show. Idiots. Her whole show today is about the vagina. Laugh out loud. She'll have experts talking about vaginal health. The audience will take a quiz on their own vaginal health.
She says that all women should be able to talk to their daughters, sisters, mothers, and friends about their bodies and not be embarrassed by it. How's this show on the air? I mean, now let me ask the two women on the show that own this body part. Skye, Ashley, do you guys feel that you've been petrified of your vaginas? And you're glad that somebody's finally making it so that you don't have to be so scared of your vag? Well, speaking for myself, I'm kind of... Like, yeah. You're really afraid of it, right? Well, I'm not afraid of it, but... Every night you're like, ah! I think we all are. Hey, Eddie. Hey? Not cool. Well, what does that even mean, Scott? Exactly. What did he say that wasn't cool? You don't even know what it means. That everyone is scared of my vagina? That's what he said. That's what he said. Now, what does that mean? Why are they afraid of it? What would be insulting? Well, I don't think there's a reason for people to be afraid of it. That's right.
Why are you afraid of it? Why do you use the word afraid? Because I'm not afraid of it. But I'm not, like, proud of it. Because she's a cruel mistress. I don't feel empowered by it. Like, I don't know. The Black Widow, Mike. I don't know. I don't think that you need to feel empowered by it. Like, why does she have to blame? You know what I mean? You have to be empowered by your vagina. Do we feel empowered by our penises? Yes, you do. I'll tell you this. I would think that it was really weird if there was a show and they were like, you know what? If Dr. Phil was like, we're finally going to talk about our penises. It's time for husbands to talk to their fathers to talk to their sons. And uncles to talk to nephews. Get in tune with your junk. That's right. How dumb. Yeah, that's weird. I think you guys know all about your body parts and you know what they're about. I don't think you're petrified of them to begin with. I think she's just trying to get herself out in the news because she's talking about vagina. Duh. 50 Cent's not retiring. You know why? Because he says, well, when I said that I would retire if Kanye beat me in record sales, he didn't beat me in Europe.
Wait, so... What? Really? Yeah. He never said that originally, though. He tells the New York Post, quote, no, I'm not retiring. My album was number one internationally the week it came out. It was the number one European album. So face, Kanye. Yeah, face on your face. Nice. Is Chad Johnson okay? Yeah, he is. He was kind of scary moment yesterday. He was taken off the field in a stretcher, hurt his neck. But all the x-rays and tests, he's fine, and he flew home with the team. I thought that Carson Palmer kind of put that ball in. Like, if I was a receiver, I'd be like, hey, dude, give me a break. You know how receivers get mad sometimes. Like, what are you throwing that? Yeah. But anyway, he's okay, is what you're saying. Yep. I don't know if that's dumb. I think that this may be the first weekend I don't start Chad Johnson. Really? Yeah. I mean, there's something wrong with him. Like, something mental. Like, he's got some mental thing.
Yeah, he's had some down weeks, hasn't he? He hasn't scored a touchdown in five games. Oh, my. And he had balls thrown right into his hands. He dropped them yesterday. And they were saying on TV, something's wrong with him mentally. Like, he's gotten into this place where he doesn't believe in him. They showed T.J. Hushmanzada on the sideline. This was so embarrassing. If I'm Chad Johnson, this would have been humiliating. Chad Johnson. What team are we talking about? The Cincinnati Bengals. Chad Johnson, he's their number one receiver. Wouldn't they say that, Sky? They got like three wide receivers, usually, and your number one wide receiver is your biggest star and the best player. Then after that, you got your number two guy, and then you got your number three. Well, Chad's number one. Well, the number two guy is TJ Houshmandzada. He's on the sideline, and they show TJ going like this. He's got his hands up, and he's going, like, teaching him how to catch. He's teaching Chad Johnson how to catch. Oh, my gosh. And Chad Johnson, you can tell, is kind of humiliated by the conversation. And you know he wants to say to him, dude, put your hands down. Oh, that's terrible. People can see us. If people see you teaching me how to do something I've been doing since I was four, I'm having a hard time, no doubt about it, but you don't have to teach me to look at the ball and put my hands up. Right? You want to catch the ball. It was so embarrassing looking. That's awful. It really was. So what was number one at the movies?
American Gangster made $46.3 million beating out B-Movie, which is pretty impressive with all those big names. Plus, it's an animated family movie. Yeah. It's really surprising. Yeah. How much money did it make? $46.3 million. Oh, my. How much did B-Movie make? $39.1 million. Here's American Gangster. Cut 51. We can go anywhere we want. We can live anywhere. Quick. And do what? Run? Hide? Frank Lewis, don't run from nobody. Right here, this is my home. My businesses, my wife, my mother, my family, my country. I ain't going nowhere. I ain't running from nobody. This is America. I want to save that clip as an example of acting for the rest of the Mikey Show's life. Yeah. That does not sound like a guy holding a script in one hand and a Starbucks in the other and auditioning. That is an actor. That sounds great. I'm sold on seeing it already. Not like that turd bionic woman. Come on. Sean. Sean, will you go see American Gangster? Yes, I will. And he probably won't like it.
I was just wondering, like... You like bad stuff and don't like good stuff. I just wondered if Sean would like it. Sean, do you feel... See, because Sean does like the stranger ones. Well, the bad stuff. Let's be honest. Sean, tell everybody what your favorite movie of all time is. The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover. I've seen it a million times. Ashley, have you ever heard of The Cook, The Thief, The Wife, and His Lover? His wife? No. I apologize. How dare you? No. You have not heard of it? I mean, no. Are you going to go out and rent it this weekend? No. I don't know what it's about. You should. It's a fantastic movie. Sean, what is the plot of The Cook, The Thief, The Wife, and His Mother? Lover? Lover. Not lover. What is the premise? It's about a... It's about a small-time criminal who owns a large organized crime organization, and he eats at the same restaurant every night of the week, and his wife falls in love and has an affair with a gentleman who also eats every night at the same restaurant. So what's the movie about? So the cook, the thief, his wife, and his brother, these guys are... Lower, not brother. What about the waiter? Huh? So most of it occurs inside the restaurant.
Oh, my goodness. Oh, come on. You don't even do anything. I don't. I don't. I don't. That sounds great. Rich and compelling. You suck. Cut 47. Why is this here? For people. We eat it. Why? You don't have enough food of your own? Well, yes. How do you even get it? Well, bees make it. I know. Who makes it? Bees don't know about this. This is stealing. A lot of stealing. You've taken our homes, our schools, our hospitals. This is all we have. And it's on sale. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. I'm going to get to the bottom of all of this. Wow. I think what to say is Jerry Seinfeld. What's the deal with these? Why don't you be a what? That's Ashley. That's Ashley doing the impression of Jerry Seinfeld after somebody's, like, blown pistols off into his ears. Oh, no. It's Ashley doing Jerry Seinfeld if Jerry Seinfeld had been born deaf. Jerry Strokefeld. No. No.

You talk about us breaking down a song. Ooh, what is it? Oh my gosh, you guys. Is this a good one? Have you guys ever heard Alanis Morissette unsent? I don't remember. Is it like brand new or no? I don't know. I don't know if it's brand new. I never heard it.
But let's discuss. Okay. You liking this so far? Oh, my God. The message? Sky, imagine if she were saying, Dear Bunny Boo. I realize you're in a relationship right now. I respect that. But if you are ever single in the future. Come visit me in California. What do you think it's so far? Okay. I get it. I get her writing this song. Like, I have no problem with her writing this song as like something therapeutic, like a diary, if you will. But releasing this as a song. Rebecca goes, maybe it should have stayed unsent. Yeah. Yeah, thank you. Oh, wait, though. So that you understand the premise. She's going to go down the list. What? New guy. God, get over it. Oh, man.
I used to like it when you would wear that mask that was leather with a zipper across the mouth, even though I thought it was weird. Parents, I love you muchly. Also. This guy just did some research. Go ahead. According to Wikipedia, the lyrics of this song consist of letters addressed to Lannis' former boyfriends, Matthew. is referring to Dave Matthews. Oh. Christian is Christian Lane from the band Loud Lucy. Sorry, what? And Taylor is Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. Wow. Wow. Damn. I really like the way you did sports, especially when you talk about the defensive backfield of the Chargers.
They were good. Well said. Dear Marcus. So weird. You rocked my world. Really? Why don't you have a small penis? Yeah. Sorry about that whole little one thing. It's not the size that matters. It's the motion of the ocean. This is as stupid as life. Wait. Usted is Mudo. Rockstar by Nickelback or unsent Alanis Morissette. It's impossible. It's garbage. You have to say that you have to like campaign for one of them about how cool it is. Okay. So that means that's the hardest part. Like having to decide. I'll take Alanis. I'll take Alanis. I can't do that Rockstar song. You can't do it, right? In no way. Huh? Remember that night?
on the couch when we were watching Three's Company. I farted. You said he who dealt it. How many? That's the other thing. The other thing I'm about is I'm sure that Matthew, Terrence, Jonathan, Maybe they didn't know about Lou and Marcus, and they're like, hey, man, dude, thanks. I slept with 200 guys because I like sex. I guess they don't all have to rhyme. Well said. They don't all have to rhyme. It's not really a song. It's like a haiku of some sort. A bad one. Just because you sing song what you're saying doesn't make it a song.
Dear Ashley, I didn't mind your sweating problem as much as you thought I did. Okay. I mean, it was a bit weird, but you tried as hard as you could. All right. Monica makes everything better. Makes everything very artistic. I kind of heard that song for the first time with my jaw dropped open. That's amazing. Yeah. That's some Alanis Morissette for you. Oh, yeah. Her songs are... about being with guys that were cheating on their significant others with her, and she's always really mad at them. But I'm thinking to myself, well, what about their wife? I bet their wife was pretty bummed out that you wrote a song about it. What song are you going to? Under a Rug Swept. Oh, I've never heard that. I think that's what it's called. But also, you ought to know. Well, it wasn't...
Didn't he leave her for another woman in You Ought to Know? I thought that she says something in there about how they were a secret from who he was with or something like that. I think Sky is right. Is that the deal? Because I remember in the song she's talking about basically, when you're doing it, I hope you're thinking of me or something creepy. The one I'm thinking of, I think it's called Hands Clean. Remember that song? I've never heard that one. All right, some other big stuff that I was missing. Apparently, there's a guy suing the government because he lost his penis after cancer went untreated. He was in prison. And apparently he had some condition that was affecting his penis.
and he says that the prison ignored it didn't help him and eventually it fell off oh come on is that the truth um well they say that um the doctors in the prison uh you know first noticed the growth on his penis and then he was transferred to um immigration because i guess you know he's here because they didn't want to deal with it They were grossed out, so they transferred him. That's what they wrote on there. For reason for transfer, they put grossed out. E-W-W-W-W. Ew. Gross. So anyway, so yeah, so then they sent him to the Immigration Customs Enforcement Custody, and he was there. What country was he from? Salvador. Oh. Salvador. El Salvador. A Salvadorian. Well said. Thank you. He's Salvadorian, so that must mean he's from Salvador. You know what I meant. So he says when he was in their custody, he kept asking for treatment and to be examined, and he says he was denied for 10 months, and they told him that a biopsy is an elective procedure, and they wouldn't perform that on him. So by the time he got... Is there such a thing as cancer of the penis?
Well, they said that they noticed a growth on his penis and it was cancerous. I never even heard of that. I didn't know that. It would be as strange to me as like, you know, buttocks cancer or something. Never heard of it. Eddie's shaking his head. Listen, it's pretty painful. Yeah, don't joke about buttocks. Yeah. So, yeah, so he got his penis amputated, but the cancer has spread, and he's, you know, suing the government, saying it's their fault, because if they would have listened to him and examined him, you know, when he was asking, it may not have spread, and now he's terminal. He wouldn't have been treated that way in Salvador. Thank you. It's making me rethink my vacation plans to Salvador. Who knows what's going on there. A very famous female wrestler has died. What? I'll tell you who it is after this.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sean, do you have the audio? Yep. Play that audio. You gave it up, right? I did. They didn't cancel you. You canceled them.
You're not aware of this? No, I'm asking you. You think I got canceled? Are you under the impression that I got canceled? Have I hurt you, Jerry? I thought that was pretty well documented. Is this still CNN? Don't most shows go down a little? Most people do also. But, yeah, no, I went off the air. It was the number one show on television, Larry. Do you know who I am? Jewish guy, Brooklyn. Yes. Okay. 75 million viewers. Last episode. Don't take it so bad. Well, it's a big difference between being cancelled and being number one. Okay, I'm sorry. We'll be right back. People think you're being cancelled. It sounds like they were doing shtick. So you're not that cool, right? What's up with the show? I heard the show sucked and they cancelled it. Because that Kramer's a racist. Right. Is that the deal? We're here with Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry, tell me about Kramer and the N-word. Is that true?
Which we all know that should be George. Yeah, it should be George saying the N-word. I heard that he found out Elaine was dating an N-word. Larry. What's up with that? Break it down, Jerry. Oh. Let me hear you say it, Jerry. Let me hear what those words sound like coming out of your lips. He actually talked about it on Larry King. Really? Cut 67. What do you make of what happened to Michael? That was, I think, a thing where you have a flaw sometimes in your personality or in your kind of emotional base that sometimes it just cracks and something happens that you almost don't want to do. I think people know what it's like to lose their temper, and it was a bad moment and it was a bad choice, but I think it was just a temper thing. During all your years with him,
Was he a little racist? No, no. Every day. So you were shocked? Yeah, completely. Did you talk to him? Yeah, sure, we talk all the time. I talked to him a couple days ago. How's he doing? He's doing good. He's doing good. You know, he still feels bad. Did he use it on you? Yeah, did he call you a dirty Jew? That's the, you know, the terrible thing about something like that is you never quite get it out of your head that you hurt people. But, you know, he did what he could. Oh, that's the worst. That's right. The greatest.
female wrestler in the history of wrestling. Really? What was she all about? She held the championship for like 40 years. Wow. I thought she was still in pretty good shape. She'd show up on WWE shows even today. Really? At 80 some years old? Yeah. She wouldn't wrestle, but she'd be involved in a storyline or whatever. That's very sad. That's crazy. Yeah, she was the first female wrestler to be inducted to the WWF Hall of Fame. She was 84 years old. If you guys... What did she die of? It didn't say anywhere, so I don't know. Dropkick? Yes. Powerbomb? Yeah. If I could hand you guys an envelope and inside the envelope was the date you would die, would you open it and read it? Absolutely not. No way. No way, huh? None of you guys. Would you? Come on. I think so. I mean... I don't know. From my perspective. I'm not afraid of dying. I don't know. I mean, if you knew, maybe you could party it up until you go. Why don't you do that now? Makes you think, doesn't it? Deal with it. See you guys next week. Oh, no. Oh, no. Wait. Eddie, how come? Why wouldn't you do it? Because I would always have that date on my mind. Right. When it was one week left, you'd be like, oh, my. Can you imagine the night before?
And what if I opened it up and it's tomorrow? And I'm like, oh, great. Okay, what if it said, no, I was going to say what if it said the year, but that'd be just as bad. On January 1st, you'd be freaking out. Every day you'd live in fear. It'd be the worst. Don't want it to say an age. Don't want it to say 64 years old on it. No. What if you could make it so that you could open the, like you would only have this if you live to be over the age of. And then you. Would you feel comfortable then? For instance, what if I said, Sky, I got an envelope for you. It has the date that you're going to die on it, but don't worry. I wouldn't be giving you this envelope unless it was over 63 years old. Would you be okay with it then? No? See, I would no matter what then. 63 is still really fairly young these days. Oh, definitely. Give me a little bit older and I'll consider it. 70 years old. 70. I'll consider it. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I wouldn't consider it at any age. I'll consider it over 57. Well, you said you'd do it now. No, no, no, no. I'm telling you, I've talked myself out of it. You guys saw me talk myself out of it. I got all freaked out thinking, oh, yeah, the week before, the night before. I talked myself out of it. Oh, so you're out now. I'm out. 57. 57? Yeah. Not 55? No. Not 58. Not 55. 56. Come on.
Here it is. No, I can't do it. 57. I'm not really, I'm more comfortable 58. But you'll do it. But I'll do 57. Like maybe in November. Yeah. So weird. Well, I don't know. How old, Sky, how long, taking into consideration family history and all that stuff, how old do you think you'll be? Oh, come on. Um. How long do you think you'll live? This is awful. I think I'm going to be pushing late 80s, early 90s. 115. For real? Yeah. How about you, Eddie? Eh, I eat terribly, so that's not helping. But my grandfather lived to be in his 80s. His dad lived to be in his 100s. Wow. You're going to be old, dude. I don't know. I mean, I'm probably, I'd say, I may make 80. No, you're going to be old. I eat a lot of red meat, Mike. See, I'm really thin and athletic. Yeah, so what you thinking? I don't think there's any way I can be... I know I have to go to 98, 99 years old. You're the George Burns of radio. That's right. Ask Sean. No. Sean. I never agreed to answer. See, but Sean's like me.
freaks out about dying. Totally freak out. He does. Me and Sean are similar that we're like 55. I don't know that I'll ever make it to 55. No way. What are you talking about? 39. Get out of here with that. It's garbage. I think about it. I'm like, oh man, if I turn 47, I'll be real stoked. Oh, you're real stoked at 47. Like, if we all celebrate my 47th birthday, I'll be like, oh, that's rad. Guys. I made it. I made it. Oh, my God. So, Sean? No. Come on, Sean. I will not. You will. Why? So, there's no way that you could ever, that we could ever say, well, Sean, what if you could, I won't give you this envelope. I'm the, like, the Grim Reaper. Give you this envelope.
George Takai? George Takai's the Grim Reaper? He's the Grim Reaper? It's a multitasker. Maybe I'll reconsider. You guys didn't know that? No. That's really weird. Well, it's my part-time job. That's not a sickle. Yeah, that's not what the Grim Reaper wears. You're telling me roller skates and cut-off shorts, no shirt, and rainbow suspenders is not what the Grim Reaper wears? I didn't picture it like that. Maybe that's what you had underneath that robe the entire time. Weird. I shaved my chest. Thank you. Thank you, Grim Reaper Takai. Anyway, Sean. No. I won't answer. Come on, dude. Seriously, I don't want to answer. He got all serious. He went all HOA on us. Shut up. Nice one, Eddie. Idiot. Whoa. I hate you. He went all HOA. He don't mean that.
Yeah, Sean, quick cancel HOA. Shut up. Now we got a new thing. Shut up. I hate you guys. My suspenders have a button that says Mondale for President. It's a little old. Oh, I've been wearing these a long time. Honestly, I don't want to answer. 65. Wouldn't you be stoked if I said, I'll give you the envelope, but it's going to say 65 or over in it? I won't. No, dude. It'll jinx it. I'm not going to say. It'll jinx it. P1 Matt. What's up, man? Matt, what about you? Would you open the envelope? Yeah, I'd open the envelope like at any time because, you know, how many times have you had a loved one die and all of a sudden you're like, gee, I wish I would have, and then fill in the blank. But wouldn't it freak you out to know that you only had three days left? You know what? If I knew I had three days left, I would have my mom out from Ohio, my dad out from Florida, and everybody would get to have at least one.
last time to spend together before I, like, kicked the bucket. Really? So, you know, no matter what, it would just, it would give you an opportunity that you wouldn't have if you didn't open the envelope. Book says that's the way you're supposed to be living your life now. Every day. Every day, like, it's your last day. None of us do, though. That's the way you're supposed to do. I mean, no, you don't. How does it actually happen that way? Well, Sky, what would you do if you knew that you had one week left? What would you do today? Cannabis. Oh, yeah, she would smoke it. Are you kidding me? Forget it. She'd have a bong implanted in her throat. True. Can they do that, Sean? Yeah, she'd be like... Lighting it out of her throat. Yeah, that and, you know, just lots of family. I'd rob a bank, see what it's like. No, you wouldn't. Good call. Go run with the bulls on mic. I'd run with the bulls. I would. You want to do that now? I really do. Wait, what? You're not going to die unless you're drunk. Those people that get trampled, I think they're drunk. What are you talking about? Mike, the guy who advises people to stay home and sit on their couch, wants to run with the bulls. Yeah, what happened to you know who doesn't do this? Hang on a minute. If I got trampled, I would say, you know who doesn't get trampled? Guys that aren't dumb enough to go. I would say it, for real. But I would like to try the running of the bulls. You're crazy. You're so light on your feet. Hold on. Oh, shut up.
Hear me out. A lot of those people, they don't look like, I mean, some of them look like they're really running fast. Some of those other jack holes, which I would be a part of, are just kind of loafing it. If you ever do it, you have to take video. For sure, man. You can get out of their way. You see it so easily. Get out of their way. Most people do. What are you talking about? Yeah, but not everybody. Not everybody, Mike. The people that don't are drunk. Out of your mind. My opinion. How do you know? People that don't are drunk. You don't know that. He gave everyone breathalyzer. A bunch of Pampelonians. You're crazy. They look like they're wasted. That's crazy. I will do it. I have a passport. What? Do it. If Shawna will send me to Pamplona, I'll run with the Bulls. Please. No, I'm not going to go. A lot of those guys, you know, they go like 100 yards and they get out of the way because they can't run anymore. It's not like they all run from point A to point B. You run for a little while and then you get out of the way. That's how it goes. It's really easy. A little like critique to the side. If it was so easy, then why is it a thing? Well, it's a popular thing. Yeah, but why?
It's popular because it's kind of scary. Yeah, absolutely. The reason I want to do it is for the adrenaline rush of it. Like, it looks exciting. Because why? Because there's a chance that you could get gored. Yeah, there's a chance you could get trampled and gored. And chilled. No, thank you. I do not believe I will. I don't. I believe that the guys that end up in trouble are like, they're the ones that you see laughing, being irresponsible. If you take it seriously. You'd be a responsible runner. You're a responsible bull runner. I won't be drunk. Okay, maybe you wanted two drinks. You might be. No, you guys know. That Spanish wine is good. I won't be drunk. Come on, Eddie, do it with me. You're crazy. Eddie, first of all, you, not a chance ever will be. But I don't want to. I don't even want there to be a slight chance. It'll be an adrenaline rush. I don't need it. I'm good. We could say we did it. I don't care. We ran with the bulls, man. The same reason why I don't sit in the audience at SeaWorld. Um, what?
There's a chance. There's a chance. He's comparing those two, Mike? Seriously. He believes that it would be him that the killer whale would eat him. One day, I may accidentally fall into the tank, and it will smell my fear, and he'll come and eat me. I'm not joking. It's not funny. It's really funny. And ridiculous. Be honest. Chris, go ahead. Mikey, what's up? What's up? My dad actually was part of that, running in the bowl. And there was a guy, his colon perforated. My horn? Was he drunk? No, he was not. Actually, a lot of the young guys do that. There's a lot of people out there who do it by tradition. They're not out there. I think it's more the tourists of the drunk ones. Did that have any effect on you, Mike, that story? No. I believe that the guy that got gored. First of all, thank you for the call. I believe the guy that got gore. Here's one in my mind. Here's gore getters. I find I have no feelings in my buttocks. Here's gore getters. I'm going to tell you gore getters. All right. Gore getters are too close to the bulls, first of all. Because you know there's a line. Like there's people super close to where they let the bulls go. And then there's people like me that would be like further up the line. Okay.
I'm not going to be standing like right there next to the bull. That's a less of an adrenaline rush. Oh, no. Not for me. If I'm running now, it's an adrenaline rush. If I run from here to my car, that's an adrenaline rush. Well, then do that. Yeah. I'll have Boy Blunder chase you. I'm telling you. Wait. Why Blunder? Just have him wear a little school outfit. Same size. Hey, everyone. Thank you. Running with the buds. The running of the buds. Maybe Shawna will arrange that for you. Yeah, there you go. Then you'll get the adrenaline rush. You'll get out of your system. It'll be great. We'll put you in the outfit. It'll be awesome. I want to see that. Red scarf, white shirt. Put some horns on him. P1 Christina. Yeah? What's up? I was saying if you were going to run with the bulls and you knew you had, I don't know, a couple days or a week to die, you'd be able to run and you would survive because you wouldn't have to die for another week. That's true. That's true. Yeah, good point. Work in the system. Oh, you're so smart. I like it. The thing is, I'm definitely an odds player. There's so many people that run with the Bulls every year, and only a couple get hurt. And they're dumb to me. Those guys that get hurt, they're either drunk or they're showing off or they're being funny. They're trying to be funny with their friends. You always see that. As they're running around the corner slipping.
Not me, man. I'll be afraid and run. Man, now I really want to do it. I want you to do it. I really want to. You do not want to. You're so full of crap. I swear upon Jesus, I want to do it. You say that now. I'm telling you, I want to run with the bulls. I want to. talk to you when you're standing there and they're waiting to open the gate terrified how far are you gonna run yeah you know uh i will say this i will push myself to run further than when i want to stop oh i know i would do that that's not true either that is the truth you're so full of crap right now i am telling you i am opening my heart and being honest you're not you think you're being honest but you're just you're not okay you believe that i okay will you say this i believe i'm being honest but when
confronted with the reality of it, I would change my mind. For sure. That's fair. For sure. But I am being honest. Okay. That's fair. You can say that you think I might chicken out and then I would have to prove you wrong. And he comes home crying to his mom. Whatever. But I know that those people, they'll run like, you know, 50 yards, whatever, and then they get out of the way. Maybe I would meet new friends. What are you talking about? While you're running, you're going to meet new friends. Well, you know, before you run, you're going to stand there. You're going to be talking to people. Hey, where are you from? Oh, I'm from Pacoima. Really, I'm from San Diego. Wow, I'm really nervous. How about you? Yeah, I'm nervous too. For sure, because you love to meet new people. I would in that environment. Especially strangers. I wouldn't. Like, hey, where are you from? You love doing that. Excuse. Your favorite thing. When I am. Hang on a minute. When I. If I am standing in line at Target, I do not like to meet new people necessarily. Uh-huh. Or ever. Yeah. Or when you're standing in line anywhere. Thank you. But if I'm in Papalona. Get out of here with that. And I'm ready to do the running of the bulls. You may be the biggest joker I've ever met. True. Wow. Oh, I can't wait for this. True, true. We have to do this. P1 Brian. Yeah. What's up?
I just wanted to say the same thing that P.O. and Christina was saying a little bit earlier. If you got a letter that tells you what day you're going to die, then you can't die before that day, right? That's true. But he's not going to get a letter. There is no letter. There's no envelope, though. That's a problem. Today, a local DJ. Tom Broca hasn't been on the news for 18 years. And he's doing local news. Local. Yeah. A local DJ. From KIOZ. What happened to him? Was gored and trampled to death in a radio stunt gone bad. I'm Tom Rokoff for KUSI. KUSI? That's right. Back to you, Kimberly. P1 Murray. Go ahead, Murray. Hey, what's going on? This is Murray A. Yeah, I actually ran with the Bulls in 97. You did? Yeah, it was... It was one of the most awesome things I've ever done, and it was definitely the biggest adrenaline rush. How close to the bulls were you? Oh, you get right next to them. They come right next to you. What happens is there's like a course, and the course is about a quarter of a mile long or so, and it goes through the cobblestone streets of Pamplona. And so what they do is, you know, at the one end they release like nine bulls, and those are the bulls that are going to be part of the bullfight for the day. Right, right. So then what happens is, you know,
They slap them on the butt or whatever, and then they fire a shotgun to get them going. And then you're sitting there running, and it's like three sections. What they do is there's a section of people that are closest to the bulls, and then as the course progresses, they have to keep a bunch of, I guess, empty space, so there's places for the humans to run. So you'll be sitting there, and the night before, you're just partying because it's Pamplona. It's a big, big party. I mean, we drank like two liters of wine, me and my buddy. And I mean, you're hungover like you wouldn't believe. But then the second you see that bull, bam. I mean, it's your hangover's gone. It's the best thing ever. How did you do? Oh, well, I mean, it's not really a question of doing. It's all a question of just like. Surviving? Right. It's a question. It's a question of not getting it. Did you run into the bull ring? Oh, yeah. That's where everybody runs into. Because the chorus basically goes through the streets of Pamplona. and it empties into the bullring. So all the runners empty into the bullring. But I've seen people jumping the barriers. Yeah, but you see people, like, kind of stopping before you get there. But you're saying, well, if you do that, what's the point? Like, the point is to get into the bullring? Yeah, well, that's the point. I mean, the point is because once you get into the bullring, there's people in the bullring that kind of, like, get all the bulls to go into the chute. And so what happens is, I mean, you're running to the bullring, and, I mean, seriously, it's like...
It's like the light at the end of the tunnel, basically, because you look in and you're going down this tunnel to get into the bull ring. And it's just like you're so happy because, you know, there's no bulls and they can't get you anymore. That's great. That sounds so cool. Right up your alley, Mike. So totally. It's definitely not. It's something that anybody can do. And I think people read into it a little bit more and they look at the things. I mean, it's definitely not the safest thing in the world, but. Do it. It's something you can easily do, and once you've done it, you'll just be like, oh, that really wasn't as big as it was. I wish that one of you guys would do it with me. I'll do it with you. You'll do it, Ashley? Absolutely. Let's go. Let's go run with the bulls. For sure. Skye, would you do it? Everyone will be all sweaty and pushing everyone out of the way. You wouldn't not do it. Drunk. No, thank you. We'll just be right in the center, Mike. We'll be introducing ourselves to everyone around us, and we'll run farther than we've ever ran in our lives. We'll push ourselves. Like, when you want to stop, I'll go, no, Mike, remember, you wanted to keep going when you wanted to stop, and we'll just charge. Come on! I'm in. For sure. Let's book the flight. I'm all in. Bulls, I'll fly. How about that?
What does that mean? Well, I'm really scared of flying, but I will sacrifice my fear of flying if you are going to run with the bulls, because that's something you would never do. Seriously, people, you think she's kidding? She's not going home for Thanksgiving. That's how much she's gotten freaked out about flying. Yeah. Gosh. I will do it. You're conquering a fear, though. I want to do it. I'm not like, I'd never do that in a million years. Hey, listen, if it was the running of the rats, forget it. I wouldn't be any part. You couldn't get me anywhere near it. Forget it. But the running of the bulls, I feel like I'm going to not be one of those unlucky ones. I think they're drunk. I think they're trying to be show-offs. But I think that most of those people are safe. They run very fast. You're scared. You're running for your life. And it's an adrenaline rush. And when it's over, you get to say, I ran with the bulls. I'll do it. Definitely. 570-1053 is our phone number. Call us at the beginning and end of every show. Open phones. We take your phone calls about anything that you want. I don't think I missed anything really big. I'm looking at the list and everything's just kind of like, eh, whatever. I do want to talk at some point about the twins. These two twins, they're very young. They invented bully-proof underwear so that you can't get a wedgie. And it's a Velcro. Oh.
Yeah, so when they get you in your freshman year and they try to pull your underwear in your buttocks, it rips right out in their hands. And you say, I gotcha. Can't get me. That's odd. Can't wedgie me. Some lady woke up in Oregon, walked out on her front lawn. 75 gnomes were on her front lawn. 75 of them. Yeah, well, there were 75 lawn ornaments, but the majority of them were gnomes. And so now the police have taken custody of all of the lawn ornaments, and they're trying to find their owners. A woman is suing her dentist because he was drilling in her mouth, and he was listening to the song Car Wash. It's a jam. And I was trying to ask Skye, like, well, like what? Like from a boom box? And she's like, you know how they have the music on in there. You know what I mean? Yeah, it doesn't specifically say, but I assumed, you know, my dentist's office, they're playing music, you know, through the speakers. So her dentist was dancing to this song, Car Wash. And at one of the parts where you like really get into it, he jammed the drill up into her mouth and he really hurt her. Oh, come on.
Yeah, she claims in her lawsuit that the inch-long drill bit punctured her sinus cavity and became lodged near her eye socket. Oh, my God. She spent three days in the hospital and had to have it surgically removed. She's asking for $600,000. That's it? To cover her medical bills and pain and suffering. That's it? Is this a jam, though? You'd think she could sue for millions of dollars. Yeah, I'm not buying it for that reason. I want to know more about it. Come on. I think Detail should clean cars to this. Not stop. Yeah. How many times can you listen to this before you're over it? Well, it must have just been like a song that, you know, they don't choose the music in doctor's offices. It's always those little... I know, but you're saying Detail should play it. Oh, how many times could he hear it before? Before he wants to, you know, hurt someone. Did you guys see that they showed King Tut's face for the first time ever? They unwrapped the bandages off the mummy? That was crazy. Yucky.
I thought he looked pretty good. Yeah, not too shabby. They showed this artist rendering of what he would look like for real, and he had, like, this major overbite. Really? Mm-hmm. But he looked like any guy you'd see at a club downtown on a Saturday night. Mm-hmm. He was only 19 when he died. Really? Yeah. So he looks like your average kid from, you know, wherever. Poughkeepsie. Poughkeepsie. Let's see. Do you know what the names that people are going to choose on are the panda's name? Mm-hmm. What are they? So there are four choices. You can vote online at the San Diego Zoo's website, sandiegozoo.org. We have Li Hao, which means beautiful China. Ming Ju, which means bright treasure. That sounds anti-Semitic. Jun Jun, which means precious. And Xiao Li, which means little beauty. No, Sean Sean? No, Sean Sean, I guess, you know. We dropped the ball. I dropped the ball. I should have got us on that. Well, the thing that sucked about the way they did that, at least for us, is you could only submit your recommendation at the zoo. You couldn't do it online. So, you know, it makes it hard. You actually have to go to the zoo to be able to submit, and then now you can vote online for one of the top four choices. So there you go. Voting ends on Sunday.
570-1053, call us. We'll take a couple of phone calls, and then we're going to hit the happy trails. P1, game fan. Hey, what's going on, bro? How you doing? What's up, man? Nothing, man. I'm a big Manhunt fan, and I played that part, too. It's really not that bad. They lightened it up big time. I just wanted to let the listeners know, you know? Sky said that they gave it a rating that wasn't as bad as it used to be or something. Well, yeah, initially it was going to be banned from big stores like Walmart and stuff like that, but then they cleaned it up a little bit, so still you have to be 17 years or older to buy it, but it's now being sold at, you know, bigger stores. Yeah, but compared to the first one, the first one was like, it was off the hook. It was crazy, but this one, they toned it down a lot. Like, a lot. There you go. The game is no, man. Thank you, man. All right. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, yeah, I got a question for the super producer, Eddie. Yo. What are the chances of ever getting Matt Lauer on the show and you guys interviewing him? I think that'd just be one of the greatest interviews ever. Matt Lauer. Weird. Yeah, we could try and do that. Yeah, he's good. He's a tough interview. All right, thanks. Thanks. We can turn the tables on. Oh, thanks. That's right. P1 Larry. What's up, Mike? What's up, dude? Good. I just want to know how many people are going to go out and see Dog the 19th out in East County at the Walmart. You think he'll still do it? Yeah, I called this morning.
I think it's pretty funny. You know, everyone going out to Lakeside to meet this guy, but... They said he's still going to do it? Yeah. Really? I mean, the chick knew what he had said and all that, but I guess it's still going on. There you go. Wow. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, this is T1 Mark. If Eddie knew when he was going to die, would he be one of those people that go up on stage where someone comes right up to you? If what? I don't understand what he said. What? Like, if Eddie knew the date of his death, meaning that he could go up on stage with Shamu and know he's not going to die, would he do it? Oh, good question. If I could bring a spear with me so that I could harpoon that son of a bitch. Right in its mouth. Eddie's not a fan, as he puts it, of the black and whites. No. Kill them all. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. She's got double shots today on the Nooner. See you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The mic shows out late. Love your mouth.
