It's 6.03. Producers for the Tonight Show are considering bringing in guest hosts next week since Jay Leno won't cross the writer's picket line. Monday Night Football last night, Alex Smith is terrible as the Seahawks shut down the 49ers 24-0. Well, let's get this sucker going. With your phone calls too, 570-1053. This monitor's out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can call about anything you want. Right at the beginning of the show we say, do whatever, talk about whatever you want. Ask questions, make comments, whatever. A P1 listener is a Mikey Show listener. You listen all the time. You turn your radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss when you call in. We encourage you to do that right now. There are seven people on the Mikey Show. Can you believe that? That's a lot of people. There are seven people. Myself, I'm the host. My name is Mikey. I'm 37. Extraordinarily overweight. And on a daily basis, try to figure out how am I going to get myself motivated to want to do it. I think I have the secret.
I think I have the secret, but I'm not going to reveal it yet. I'll reveal it when it's time. Okay. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He's 34 years old, and his dad may be the best cook I've ever experienced ever in my life. Yeah, I agree with that. And I've always been really bummed out that he's never decided to open a restaurant. Yeah, I mean... Yeah, you know, it's strange because I've always thought that too. But I don't know that he'd want to because then it comes work, you know. But I always told him, you know, all you got to do is kind of come up with the menu and the recipes. You don't have to do all the cooking. But, you know, he's at the point where he's just retiring and he doesn't want to start a business now. He's one of those guys that doesn't just know how to cook. He's kind of got that little extra gift for it, you know. Yeah, for sure. Some people can cook. And then some people can cook and they got the little something something. Right. The little extra. Skye is our news girl. She's 30 years of age. And she starts to drink a cup of coffee. And she drinks it all morning long. Yes. I get my cup of coffee just before we go on the air at 6. And then I finish it right before we get off the air at 10. And I drink the whole cup of coffee through one of those tiny stir straws. It's cold by the time she finishes. Oh, yeah. Definitely. Nice cold.
I like it that way. Near frozen. It's like a frozen light. Okay, now you're over-exaggerating. It's just cold. Sean's our sound effects man. He is 37 years of age. He knows more about computers and electronic stuff than anybody I've ever met. I love that stuff. However, there is an irony. As much as he loves computers and as much as he knows about electronics, He chooses the oddest brand of headphones ever. That's not true. I just ordered myself a new pair of headphones that I'm going to start wearing in here. Can I get your old ones? No. That's the reason I ordered them. That's the reason I ordered them because I have something to do with these ones that I'm wearing right now. Oh, fuck. But the new pair is going to be the professional version of the ones I'm wearing right now.
And the ones I'm wearing right now are the ones that Ashley's wearing, the ones Eddie's wearing, the ones that Rob's wearing. What about Jeff? What do you wear? Yeah, he's wearing the same pair, too. Now, the only reason Sky's not wearing them, she went to go get them. They were sold out. So she bought this big, clunky pair. Have you ever replaced those? Yeah, this is my second pair of headphones. And these need to be replaced because they're all pulling apart and falling apart. But we'll all get the same pair. I won't get the kind you guys wear. I hate those ones she's wearing. Those are the worst. They are, dude. They're so bad. They're muddy. They're not muddy. Have you ever put them on, Sean? Those are the ones I had before these. Sean gets it. Sean has a hearing problem. I do not. They have a really good low-end contour. I love the low-end. It's like you're underwater.
It's like you sank in quicksand and they're playing music. What? Broadcasting from a coffin. Okay. Broadcasting from the bottom of your pool. Yeah. Yeah. That's seriously what it's like. Ashley's our assistant producer. She's 24 years of age. Don't cook. Ashley does not cook. Want to know what I had for dinner last night? I do. I do. This always fascinates me. I know. I said she eats like a feral cat. And I was like, when I was eating it last night, I was like, I'm going to have to talk about this tomorrow. Mikey will appreciate what I'm eating. It was from the Sex and the City dinner this weekend. My friend's leftover, I want to say like a quarter of a piece of chicken, like this much. You had a Sex and the City dinner Saturday night with my three girlfriends. Yeah, I don't think anybody knows what that is.
These three girlfriends and the four of us, we all hang out. And every weekend, normally Fridays, this weekend it was Saturday, we do what we call a sex in the city dinner. And we'll like every week go to a different place. And you're smart, dress really cute, and have like a really nice kind of high class meal. None of you guys have significant others? They all three do. Oh, okay. So their boyfriends know, hey, this is sex in the city now. Yeah, they know. Because, you know, they all get to spend all the rest of the time with their boyfriends. Whatever. Like our girls night out. Women my wife's age do that, too. They call it bunko. Okay, well. That's true. Yeah. Well, so... Somehow she interpreted that as like a put-down. She doesn't know what bunko is. I do know what bunko is. She thought it was an insult. Well, I feel like you were implying that... What was I implying? That we're like dorks for doing that. No, I was implying the opposite. Okay. That when you get old, you call it bunko. When you're young and hip, you call it sex in the city now. Oh, I got you. Why does she want to hate me all night? I was trying to understand. All right, we're all friends again. All right. Anyway, so we went to this delicious restaurant and there was this chicken and then it was like a little bit of pasta. But the leftovers, I'm not kidding you, was like a quarter piece of chicken and like maybe three bites of like this Alfredo pasta. Maybe three bites, if I was lucky. And then so I heated that up real quick, nuked it for 60 seconds in the mic, put a little paper towel over it.
Keep it moist. And then I took a couple of spoonfuls of low-fat cottage cheese and put that next to the chicken, and then I ate it. It was delicious. That's not as gross as what you usually do. Well, I was going to steam some zucchini, but I freaking go to Vons, and they're out of zucchini. Who's out of zucchini? So, you know, no veggie for me last night, which was, you know, fucked up. Think about this, Eddie. I want to ask you. If you had a piece of leftover chicken that was like how many bites? It was probably like four or five bites of chicken and two bites of pasta. Two bites of pasta. Yeah, it's perfect. Hey, listen. Maybe we calculate differently, but 60 seconds. No way. I mean, I would say no way. It was a little hot. How long would you give that? I would do one minute. Really? Yeah. Shawnee? About 30. I say that will be at best. Perfect temperature at 47 seconds. That's what I would have punched in. 47. You know what the trick is? Because those extra 12 seconds I think is going to cook it too much and make it hard and dry. I got the secret. What? What you do is you like cook it for 30 seconds and then I cut it up into little pieces and then I heat it for another like 20. 47 seconds closer to a minute than 30 seconds. True. True. Very true.
I wonder if you were to wet a paper towel and put it on there if it would keep it moister. Oh, because I just thought putting a paper towel on it keeps it moister. Good morning, everyone. Welcome to Radio Food Talk. First of all, who takes that little food home in a doggy bag? Secondly, who takes their friend's little food? She left it at my house accidentally. So you ate her food? Yeah, I did. She doesn't know it yet, but it's Kaylee who knows how I don't even really like her. Yeah, I did. I don't even really like her. Just kidding. But kind of telling the truth. I'm kind of accurate. But not. But I don't really mean it, but hey, wink, wink. J slash K. Yeah, J slash K. But, you know, without the J. Or the K. Just the slash. She's my best friend. Don't know what to do without her. That's right.
Except live a freer life. Not be miserable. Not be miserable. That's right. Except maybe make your own decisions about people you want to date. Be happy about myself. She was mad at me, by the way, last night. Mad at me. Of course. For blowing him off now. I'm like, oh, that's why? Yeah. That releases her from the guilt. She was mad at me. She was like, what? I thought you were really into him. You're just over it? That releases her from the guilt. You should have said, and you ruined it for me. It's your fault. Did you? Good. What did you say? Tell me. I said, well, yeah, you know, I was kind of on the fence about it. And when you completely came down on me, I got over it. Like, you got in my head. And she was like, well, that's because he's a listener psycho. But you just said, Kaylee, or whatever your name is. What are you talking about? You just said, why did you? Yeah, you're all over the place. That's crazy. Is she dating somebody? Yeah, my brother. Are you serious? That's my brother's girlfriend. I had no idea that that was your brother's girlfriend. Welcome to my life. I have to deal with her all the time. I used to live with her. Oh, what a bummer. What? She's great. Yeah, real great. Yeah. Great. Can you vote her off the island? I love her. By island, do you mean earth and can we? Hey. Hey. How old? 20. Yeah. She's young. Oh, man, that is young. She's a little kid.
She is. Kind of like my little sister. You know what? You should have friends like Sky's age. I do have friends. 90? No. Wrong. Whoa. I am not 90. Wow. That was uncalled for. Right? I'm sorry about that. He loves this. I'm not 90. 95. Guy's looking out for you. I'm okay. He's looking out for you. Thank you for your concern. He's a knight in shining armor. Well, thank you. I agree. I think that was really nice of Eddie. What? Now I feel like a jerk. I'm sorry. Oh, please. Well, you should. Right? He's shaking his head no. What? Yeah, right. Rob. Don't mind him. He's a communist. Obviously by the hat. Oh, what? Yeah, he's wearing one of those little Cuban, you know, those little green hats with the red star on it. The cloth. Yeah, the cloth, green. It's your what hat? You know, picture a Cuban communist hat. Fidel?
Castro. Never mind. A mini-mini. Boston Rob, he is 24 years old. He's our phone screener. What's up with you, dude? Lately, nothing. I'm getting ready for my big Thanksgiving. You don't have to. Who's coming over? It's going to be out of control. Is it your house? Yeah. Who's coming? I don't know. Well, my mom surprised me last week and said she's going to come into town. Really? Nice. Out of nowhere. And she was trying to keep it a secret from me and told everyone, and then finally when she did call me, she just told me. She was going to surprise you like, surprise, you're so happy to see me. Well, I guess because my birthday's on Saturday, so she wanted to come out for that, but if I had the choice, I would have told her no because it's going to be too crowded. I'm going to have to leave my place and give her my room. Who else? My cousin Mike is coming from out of town. We're going to have Gabe, Kaylee, my brother Al. I think one of his friends, my girlfriend, my girlfriend's cousin. Guy on the couch. And then me. They're worried about meatballs. Yeah, meatballs coming into town for a time. What? Where are you going to put everyone? Yeah. Oh, wait. Is there another person come? I think Zeth might even stop by. For real, Zeth? I'll stop by for a couple minutes. I don't think he's going to have dinner, though. Like, I just listed everyone for dinner. Yeah, right. Free meal. Where are you going to put everyone? I don't know.
Are you doing the cooking? Oh, yeah. No, I'm doing all the cooking. All the cooking? Yeah. Wow. One of my issues with Boston Rob is that I feel he takes on too much. Oh, yeah. Please. I'm excited, though. I've always said this to him. I say you take on too much. I've already started my preparations. I made my list of food shopping stuff. I'm going to get out of the way this weekend. I've already started to look up recipes. Eddie's going to give me a hand at telling me how to cook certain things. I'm excited. Last year I cooked for four or five. I think this year I can do ten. Wow. Sounds like a big... Because last year went so well? Or what? Hey, I learned from a lot of things last year. You learned how to create salmonella. No one got sick. No one died. Last year's Thanksgiving dinner was a science experiment. It was. Well, good luck. Thank you. Bring your own penicillin. Yeah. That's right. Finally, Zeth is the seventh guy on the show, and he's 22. He's the youngest guy on the show. He does everything. Most of the stuff off the air. 570-1053 is the phone number. Call us about anything you want. P1NATO. Hey, good morning, Mikey Show. What's up, bro? Took the family out of town for a few days, and we never got to hear how you were going to prepare your turkey. Oh, yeah. I announced it yesterday. There's a website called Straubs. They're a fine food store online.
R-A-U-B-S. Straubs.com. When you get there, right under the word Straubs is the words, a bunch of different links. Go to Thanksgiving. Click on that. Last item is called, I believe it's called Fire and Flavor. It's a brine, but it's like a, it's a foolproof brine. You don't have to do anything. You don't have to put things together. It's all in a bag for you. And then you buy these bags that you stick the turkey in. You pour the stuff in. It's real easy. So you should check it out. All right, bro. All right. That website's probably going, where are all these people coming from? Yeah. Where'd these guys come from? Lots of stuff going on. There were three people arrested in a border kissing booth. They were doing a protest. I guess it was put together by the Mexicans, right, Skye? Well, it was put together here on the U.S. side by a group called No Borders Camp.
who, you know, obviously, you know, issues with immigration and illegals and the way our borders are set up. And they wanted to stage a little protest down at the Calexico border and set up a kissing booth. So how did it work? Well, I guess it's from the description that I read. It sounds like it's a chain link fence. And then so they set up on one side and then there were Mexican people on the other side. And I guess they were kissing through the holes in the chain link fence. Now, what does that illustrate? That we love people regardless of borders? Maybe it means look what these borders are doing. They're making us miss our loved ones. When you want to kiss your loved ones here in America, you can. have to kiss our loved ones through these borders, through this fence that you put up. I like that better. Is that it? Send out a press release. Tough love it is, tough love. That's really dumb. Yeah, so I guess the Border Patrol agents, when they came across this, asked the people on the U.S. side to step away from the fence, and there was a little shake-up, and according to the protesters, they say that the Border Patrol agents fired pepper spray bullets at them, and that they were...
assaulted with batons. I got a question for U.S. Border Patrol, and I know we got a lot listening. In fact, our boy JP is a Border Patrol guy. What's the problem with kissing through a fence? Like, why did that need to be stopped? Like, kiss all you want, dorks. Who cares? I would have said, you look so dorky. Stop sucking on the fence. But what's the problem with it? I'd understand if they were kissing and exchanging balloons of heroin. That may be a problem. Well, maybe could that be the fear? Oh, come on. I don't know. I mean, really. If they're Frenching all weird. Are we about to make out right now? You've never Frenched through a chain link fence before. Is that what you're telling? At the border. At the border. You make a good point. You make a good point. Thank you. Thank you. Not to mention that every time I have, I'm exchanging heroin balloons. I know. You just think you're getting a deep kiss and then you end up with this balloon. Yeah. And you're like, man, I could sell this on the market for. Wow. It's really weird for me because that's not where I keep my heroin. Oh. Eddie.
Oh gosh, that's a different kind of boot. It's really weird. You know, it hurts, but it feels so good. He keeps them in a toolbox. In a shoe. Well, that's what you may call it. That didn't make it better. That made it uncomfortable. So anyway, I don't understand it. Yeah, the whole thing is weird. Well, when you have to explain your protest, it's not working. Go back to the drawing board. I'll jab my dad with this one. I'll tell him the story and I'll be like, Dad, leave it to Mexicans to come up with such a stupid thing that doesn't make any sense. Idiot. Leave your daddy alone. I can say it because I'm Mexican. All you people that want to get offended. There's white people in their car right now and they're like, did he just say that Mexicans were stupid? Yes, I did. Ow. In your face. And I'm a bean. Okay.
Yeah, if there's a Border Patrol guy listening, I'd love to know how that works. There's this male birth control pill that's closer to being a real thing. And I'll tell you what, man, it freaks me out. Why? Well, because I think to myself, any pill that would not let your swimmers work sounds creepy. And something could go wrong. And then when you want your swimmers to start working again, that just sounds... risky to me. I agree. I don't know anything, though. I wouldn't mess with it. No way. Yeah, well, right now, there's a big pharmaceutical convention going on in San Diego, so this new male birth control pill is the big talk, and they say, excuse me, it's a testosterone-based hormone pill, but it's not a steroid. It has an effect on through the brain. Well, wait a minute. I think we got a doc that explains it. Oh, you do? Yeah, cut 45. This is simply a single pill, which could potentially be administered by mouth and stop the male spermatogenesis cycle. It's an indirect effect through the brain, and it does stop sperm production in a reversible way. There are also some nice side effects, if you will. You can increase muscle and bone mass. Oh, boy. So now you're going to have all these meatheads that are abusing it to, you know, yoke out. Yeah. But forget this. It reduces your sperm count for...
you know, a while, and it's reversible. Okay, whatever. Right. Yeah, it actually stops sperm production. Forget it. While you're taking it. Forget it. I think that sounds scary. But doctors say it's okay. Doctors say it's okay, but still, hey, listen, I'm admitting freely that I'm a weirdo, but... Yeah, because it does the same for women. For women, it's the same concept. Make sure ovulation start again once you stop taking the pill. Yeah, you don't release an egg. You don't drop an egg. Hey, I'm one of those chicks that when the idea of the pill first came out, must have said, hey, that sounds scary. That's who I am. Yeah, no, I mean, better to be cautious. Mm-hmm. What else? A couple of phone calls. P1 Chris. Hey, this is Chris. What's up, man? Actually, my dad works for a company called Surefire up in Orange County. Uh-huh. And a few years back, he... He found that his company fulfilled an order for 400 silencers at the Border Patrol. It was just one of those really weird things that my dad told me about. I guess a whole bunch of national agencies were beefing up security and all this other crap. Sounds kind of weird to me. Okay. Why did Rob let this call through? Don't know. I'm confused. Rob. Robert. Austin Rob. Hey, you. You. I don't know. I can admit on this one. Yeah.
Party lover. Talk to me here, Shiraz. Oh. What was your thought process? It's white cab today. That's right. What was your thought on putting this guy through? He's kind of crazy, not making sense, but it was open phones. I kind of felt bad for him, and that's why I let it through. You're being honest. I should have hung up on him, to be honest. Listen, I love his honesty. I love your honesty. Now I can't be irritated at you. Dang it. Dang it. It sucks, though, because I was putting him on hold, and I'm going... I'm an idiot. Why am I doing this? Whenever someone's honest with me, I can't get mad at him. No, how can you? Like, I tried talking to that guy for five minutes to figure out if he had a good point. You felt sorry for him. I really did. P1 Tyler. Tyler, are you there? Yes, go ahead. You're on the air. Hey, with the male birth control pill, think of the unwanted pregnancies that would stop and, you know, the men being forced to pay child support, you know, that kind of stuff. It could be good. Yeah. Because it puts the control in their hand. You know, where a condom, you know, there's accidents. But if you know that you're, you know, as a man, you're on point about taking your pill every day. Talk me through it. I'm still trying to understand. Keep going.
Okay, so with a condom, you don't have control over if it's going to break or whatever. That's an accident. But as a man who could potentially have to pay child support and potentially not have a say whether a child is born or not, because once a woman's pregnant, she can have that say, it's giving him more control over not spreading his seed. Isn't it the same exact thing? Unless it's 100% effective, if it's 99.9% like the birth control pill is, you're in the same boat. As the, you know, women could say the same thing. Well, no, but see, we're putting the control in the man's hands versus the woman's hands. Yeah, but you have to prove two things. A, that he took it correctly, which no man will. No, thank you. True. You know, that he took it. But again, control in your hands. It's up to you. Right, but the guy would have to prove, like, okay, so a woman says, you got to pay, we have a kid now. You know, some girl that he's dating. She says, oh, that doesn't matter. That's not what we're saying. We're just saying to stop the pregnancy before it ever gets to that point. You know, you're putting your the control is in your hands of you taking that. I guess what I'm wondering is, what's the difference in the birth control pill for men and a condom? The condom is a certain percentage effective. And unless this pill is 100 percent effective, you're still taking a chance, right?
What's the difference? I mean, I don't know the stats on condoms, but I've definitely known them to break. I've definitely known people to know them to break. So, to me, breaking condoms happens. And that's out of your control. Breaking a condom is out of your control. But taking the pill every day is in your control. I come from a world where you just can't rely on them. They constantly break. There's no size. They don't have bunny boo size. Yes. Shut up. That's not what I'm saying. The largest they have is Magnum. Right. That's not what I'm saying. We've switched to black glad lawn bags. No. Not big enough. Won't work. No. Shut up. And a zip tie. A zip tie. We're considering. We're so dumb. Stay up. We're so dumb. We're considering hot air balloons. Oh. Terrible. But even then. Too small. It's like the Hindenburg in my pants. Everyone knows what I'm talking about. We've got her husband here. A disaster. P1. Ponyboy is on the line. Ponyboy, you there? Yes, I was thinking that maybe this birth control thing would be a good way to figure out if your girlfriend or your wife's cheating on you. How so?
Well, you know, if I'm taking my pill and she gets pregnant, we're going to have problems. Dude, it's the same as you taking the pill or using a condom. If you use a condom and your wife gets pregnant, it means the condom failed. If your wife is on the pill and she gets pregnant, it means the birth control pill failed. You know, my first kid that I had with my kid's mom, she told me that she was on the pill and she stopped taking it. She told you that she stopped taking it? Yeah, she told me that she stopped taking the pill after she had gotten pregnant. See, again, he had no control over that. He didn't know she stopped taking the pill. So if he were the one on the pill... If he were the one on the pill, like if I were the one on the pill, I would know that that's not my kid because I was on the pill. If this is such a thing that works. That's not true because you know the thing ain't 100%. Even the pill's not 100%.
It's impossible. What about the women that take the pill and they don't screw it up and they take it every day and they still get pregnant? You know that happens. It happens. I know a chick it happened to. Really? Yeah. It hasn't happened yet with the girlfriend I got now, so I'm pretty confident about that pill, man. Well, I think that the pill is highly effective, but it is not 100% effective. It's just not. Sky, you know the person I'm talking about. I'll tell you off the air. Oh, hello. You hurt my feelings, Mike. No, no, no, Ponyboy. No, no, no. Ponyboy, no. I don't want to hurt your feelings. I don't want to hurt your feelings. I do believe, though, that everything is not 100%. That's all I'm saying. Thank you. I'm sorry. Well, this went well. P1 Dustin. Yes. What's up? Yes. You totally made my whole day right there in the first 30 seconds of waking up. With a what? I wake up, I get out of bed, I turn my radio on, you know, get in the shower, get ready for work. And it totally cracked me up. Boss and Rob put my dude on. That was great. All right, bro. Thank you for the call. We have a jam-packed show today. I mean, how are we supposed to do everything? You have a jam-packed show. It's impossible. It's impossible. We got so much stuff. Where do I begin? First of all,
I saw Dr. Phil in the lobby. How does he look? He was just sitting there. That's all he was doing. What? He was just sitting there. So I'm positive he's not going to be on the show today. Did you guys speak? No, I just saw him sitting there. Maybe it was a cardboard cutout. Because he's normally baking cookies or cleaning toilets. Maybe that's the deal. Or Gomi. Maybe it was a cardboard cutout. But I saw Dr. Phil. He was just sitting there. So, yeah, it's going to be really interesting to see what he was doing in the lobby today. We have a lot of things that we want to discuss to see if you can relate to any of these things. First of all, it came up the other day, and we may get to this, we may not, but it came up the other day. If we were to cast the Mikey show, like if we were to cast us as, you know, we had to cast ourselves and everybody else on the show, who would we put in that role? So if they were to make a movie about the Mikey show, who would we cast? Who would you cast? Who would play Mikey? Who would play Eddie? You know what I mean? Who's going to play all these different people? Very dangerous. I've got a great one for me. I don't know if this is going to be... Well, what's great about it is if we all write it down, how do we view ourselves? And each other. Right? Can we make our picks anonymous? Can we make our picks anonymous? No. Absolutely not. No.
Because I'm going to be real mad at somebody. I just have to get it through my head right now. Whoever you guys pick is going to be hideous. No, no, no. I have to get it. Well, if I don't, then when we get to Sky, it'll just hurt too much. If we don't, it's just going to be too painful. So I have to come to terms with it. I have to come to terms with it now before we get there. And she just dothed her cap to me. As if to say, and thank you. Awful. Horrific. We're going to do a little Wuss Rock jukebox today, which is guys calling in singing very effeminate songs. It's going to be a great time. And we've got a lot of stuff, so don't go away. 570-1053 is our phone number. Ray Romano in the stand-up spotlight. I go there quite often to Burger King's, McDonald's. I have children. I have to take them somewhere. I have, yeah, I have a three-year-old daughter and twin two-year-old boys. Wow. Thank you. Single people are here. Single people are like, hey, twins, parents. Oh, that could have been us. Oh, my God. I'll tell you, you know, it doesn't matter if you laugh or not. I'm just happy to be out of the house right now. I'll be honest. I will be honest.
You know, it's horrible. I make little excuses now just to get out of my house for a few minutes. I'll do anything. Anybody, you need anything? Anything at all? Anything? Anything from the Motor Vehicle Bureau? How about that? Can I register? Something. It's on my way. I'm going that way. I'm just going to go apply for jury duty. That's all. Let me out. Just out of curiosity, what did you look like before the accident? The Mikey Show is on. Sounds incredible, Rock 105.3. Yeah, that's got your face with a phone book. It all starts tonight at 8 after Family Guy on San Diego CW Cable Channel 5. No! At South Bay Volkswagen, we're going to teach you the meaning of no. Hey, I just had your cough mixture, and it worked super good. Glad to hear it. But, like, it's not supposed to taste like trash bag leakage, is it? Mm-hmm, sure is. Crazy. Buckley's cough mixture. It tastes awful, and it works. It's been a historic dry year.

My son Joey and I were out at the dunes in Glamis when we spotted this family bottomed out on a sand dune in their Chevy Silverado. My Nissan Titan had higher clearance than the Chevy, so I just hooked up some towing cables and I pulled him right off of that dune. I was proud of my Titan's V8, and proud of his old man. Mossy Nissan's got the full-size truck you can count on. The American-made Nissan Titan. With its standard 317 horsepower V8 and the ability to tow up to 9,500 pounds, Titan's the perfect weekday workhorse and the ultimate weekend toy. And right now, Mossy Nissan has a huge selection of Titans in stock, all with low Mossy value prices. And as we drove that Titan off into the sunset, my wife called and asked me to pick up a few groceries.
And I said, okay, honey. Don't wait. Test drive a new Nissan Titan today at all six Mossy Nissan locations. Or see them online at mossy.com. 053 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. The ride's getting a little bit tougher here on our freeways. Out of the South Bay, this 5 northbound. Pretty heavy out of Chilavista up to National City. Then again, as you approach the 15 connector, that stays slow all the way onto the Coronado Bridge. There was an earlier stall on the bridge. And a lot of folks just heading back to work here on the bases there. So... I'm going to find a very tough ride on the Coronado Bridge off that 5 here this morning. The 805 northbound has got plenty of stuff to deal with now as well up to National City. And a minor delay through North Park now. And now you're seeing some slow traffic out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. West 94, a little tight from Federal to the 805. The westbound 8, looking good out of La Mesa all the way into the Valley right now. South 15, though, that's a slow one from the 78 to Via Rancho Parkway. Some more breaklights into Rancho Bernardo now. And the coaster ride, southbound 5, is quite heavy from La Costa. all the way down to Manchester. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Let me tell you something. Cricket has the coolest phones. You know, you may be one of these people that goes, well, yeah, yeah, yeah, wireless companies, and I got to think about, is my phone going to drop out and the contracts and all that stuff, but what about the cool phones? I want to be cool. They got them. Oh, yeah. They got all that stuff that you want. They got the hardware. They got the bling. They got all the ones you want to do all the things that you want, the texting, the pictures.
Everything. One of the things that I think is really important, you know how much kids and teenagers now love their phones and have to text. I mean, they're probably costing you a bunch of money with all these texts they're running. Well, with Cricket, you get a whole wireless plan for you and your family. You don't pay for any of that stuff. And so you don't let your kids text away, and it's all free. Sky, how do people get a hold of Cricket by the web? Check out their website, mycricket.com slash San Diego. Now back to Mikey. I love football so much. Eddie. I have a very strong sensitivity to smells. Sky. I smoked so much pot in high school those years. I blew my brain out. What do you want from me? Sean. Pet Shop Boys are one of my favorite groups. Boston Rock. I wish I was smartest so I could fight this better. And Ashley. I am a very, very twitchy person and I feel like it's because I have ADD The Mikey Show is on Rock 105.3 This song has been number one on the rock charts for I think 942 weeks in a row it's been forever man and it's still the number one rock song welcome back 641
The Pentagon announced that they have started reversing this year's troop surge in Iraq. The Red Sox' Dustin Pedroia and the Brewers' Ryan Brown win the Rookies of the Year awards. Eddie, if you could freeze time, would you do anything against the law? Yes. You would? Yeah. Anybody else do something against the law? Yeah. You would too, Sky? Definitely, yeah. Eddie, how about you, Sean? Give me a break, right? Ashley, would you do something against the law if you could freeze time? I don't know what I would do. You don't even know what you would do, period? No, I don't know what I would do. I don't know what I would want to do that's against the law. No, but do you know what you would want to do? If I could freeze time? No. How about you, Rob? Oh, yeah, I know exactly what I'd do. Is it against the law? Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure it is. Seth? Oh, yeah.
Eddie, is yours a felony? I think so. I'm not sure. What is it? You want to know? Yes. Oh, gosh. What? I wouldn't steal money or anything like that. I would look at people and undress. What? I like that one. Specifically, Skye. Oh, my God. I mean... I have a question. When you unfroze time, would you tell her later? You would never tell her. It's my power. I don't want it to be revealed that I'm doing these creepy things. I have a question. Go ahead, Sean. When you do observe her, is it something where you would be, like, through a window? Or would you actually be, like, right in front of her? No, I'd get up and close and personal. I mean, she can't catch me. And one follow-up question. Oh, my gosh. Would you yourself be... Oh, come on. Oh, Sean. That's weird. That's weird. That's weird? Can I get an answer? Eddie Freeze time and looking at me nude isn't weird. Well... But him doing it nude would be weird. Let me be clear. Let me be clear. Oh. Oh.
Let me be clear. It's weird. No doubt about it. But he's a man. I'm a man. He's a man. You're a woman. Where did we go from here? You know what I'm saying? Not at all, no. Well, because you're a woman. I'm not saying it's right. Anyway, you know, I'd be just hot chicks. I mean, I'd like to see what they look like. I'm sorry. Kill me. Don't judge me. I can't blame you. But that's so weird to me with all the Playboy magazine, with all the cable channels. In person, it's not the same. With all the websites. And it's people you know. You always fantasize more about people you know than people you don't know. Yeah. Oh, man. Unfreeze me. I'll go with you. Okay. This is very odd. The fact that you work with her doesn't change. Well, the fact that you know her is even better. That enhances it. How would that next day at work be? For me, awesome. Would you be weird to me? No. You would just act like another day. Nothing happened. But I would know in my head what you look like. No, thank you. You can't control my powers. Yes, I want to control your powers. Yours would be a felony, Sky? Yeah, I believe so. What is it? I would want to rip off people who steal money, if you would like me to clarify.
From big corporations that I deem, how do I deem them? That I think are shady. Like? Well, the first one that comes to mind is Halliburton. Because they were doing government contracts so they could get a bunch of money. Yeah, profiting off the war, being shady. How would you steal money from them? I would freeze time. I would go into the CEO's office. Look, look, look. Bank account. Log on. Transfer money. Here we go. I don't think it would be as easy as you think. Wouldn't they catch you? I'd figure it out. I'd find a way. You'd have to find passwords. I'd go to his nightstand every night and take a 20 out of his wallet. Now, wait a second. Over time. Over time. I got a question. I got a question this one. And the reason I do is because I don't think that you... Like, listen. If you could snap your fingers and time is actually frozen. Okay. I do not believe that you would actually... Get in your car. Go to wherever this is. No, I have to make a master plan. You're right. You're right. You're freezing time. What does it matter? Eddie's is easy. You've got all the time in the world. Eddie's time freeze is easy. Your time freeze is so complicated and it involves you driving to a place. Well, what? Eddie's got to drive to a place. Yeah, but that's easy.
Why is his driving easy and my driving's hard? You have to find out where Halliburton is. Go in there. I'd figure it all out. I'd have a master plan before I went in. Because you guys are right. I don't want to get caught. I don't want to get linked to this shenanigans. Sean, what about you? I would... Oh, boy. Actually, I don't think it's that bad. I would move to Los Angeles and become a member of the paparazzi. And when people are trying to get that perfect shot or... Maybe even if someone is on vacation somewhere and they're very far away or secluded, I could stop time, get in there, take that photograph that nobody else could get, and then make millions of dollars doing that. He kind of took mine. Really, Rob? That's what you would do? But mine was a little more deviant than that. I would put famous celebs in compromising positions and take pitches of them. Like either put a big pile of drugs in front of them at their home. Oh, I'm real creeped out. That's awful. That's awful. Why do you want to ruin someone's life? You just blackmail them, dude. Money. Oh, Rob. Oh, my God. Just leave me alone. I'm free time. That's what I do. It's his free time thing. Who does? I'm not taking you with me. Like a bad superhero. You're a villain. All right. I would want to see famous people's houses, and there's no way I can do it.
Normally. Oh, that'd be fun. Yeah, take me with you on that. Would you use the bathroom in them? No. I would. Would I use the bathroom in them? What? I imagine the bathrooms are really nice there. Really? Like, really? Yeah. So the experience would be really fantastic? It'd be funny. Funny? Like you don't flush, you just leave. Oh, Rob. Hey, guy. He's really weird. That wouldn't be hilarious. Not to me. You know Angelina is going, Brad, did you do this? And you're just at home laughing. Oh my gosh. What? You can freeze time. I can do what I want. Leave me alone. I asked my wife this and she said she just wants to sleep. She wants to freeze time and sleep so that her responsibilities can be put on hold so she can sleep for a while. Yeah. I kind of like it too. I kind of like the idea of being able to just take time. not have to do anything. Life is different for me now. I get an hour nap, and then when I wake up, it's Jake time. And then when that's done, I want to go to sleep, but I can't because I got to do emails. So I would like to do that. Planes, I think transportation could be cool. What do you mean? I think it would be cool to get on a plane, freeze time, and go up into the cockpit and take a look around. I'll never be able to see a cockpit in my lifetime. I'll never get that view.
It's all stuff I wouldn't have the opportunity to do unless I froze time. That's what it would be for me. There's not a lot of opportunity for stuff. I'd do so many gags. It would all be like humor for Ron. It would be. All the funny stuff he could do. Like put someone's hand on someone else's butt and then unfreeze it. Oh my gosh. Who is this guy? How funny. You wouldn't laugh. I'd unfreeze you and let you come and do it to one person. Laugh out loud. Okay. All right, then. Eddie, I just thought of something. If you did the sky thing, it'd probably have to be at her house. So? She says so. Well, no, that was my first thought. I didn't think about it. Where did you think it would be? Where else do I walk around naked? The grocery store? I could undress you and then just dress you back up. Like a doll? Yeah.
Put on different outfits for you. That's really creepy. Guess what, Skye? Creepy. It just happened. Skye, it just happened. He just froze time. It did not. Or did it. Shut up, all of you. Look at those creepy eyes. Mikey Show. Why is my shirt on backwards? Oh, no. What's up, man? I was going to say, if you mixed B-Rob and Eddie's unfreezing time things together, Both of them would be at Skye's house, and if B-Rob went to go use the bathroom and it was in the morning, would it already be not flushed? That is correct. That's gross. That is correct, though. Here's the deal. Apparently, a very, very, very, very famous person was at a premiere for her movie, and her pants split in the back, revealing... Underpants. Uh-ohs. And I'll tell you who it is next. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is The Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to sit. Rock 105.3. In your mouth, you're mentally going south. Ricardo Salinas will captain a 400-foot carnitas enchilada. Rubio's enchiladas are stuffed with char-grilled chicken, slow-roasted carnitas, or jack-and-cheddar cheeses. There are certain things in my life that I considered no-brainers.
At the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. And I've heard
I think it might be Benny Mardonis. That's a good one. Reminds me of when I was a kid. In the movie Urban Cowboy. That is correct, Eddie. Wow. I think it is Benny Mardonis. So I've been sitting here trying to put together who I would cast for different people on the Mikey show. I have a pretty decent budget for mine. You do? Yeah. Is it all A-listers? Pretty much. I mean, there's some just guys in there that, you know, I can get for cheaper, but. Yeah. Not too bad, not too bad. I like my cast. Eddie, let's start with you. Do I hand it to you? Yes. Oh, is this how we're doing it? Oh, boy. No, I think you should probably read it because you can explain, you know what I mean? Okay. Are you going to ask me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. All right, who do you cast? Oh, I'm just so nervous. Let's just go same order every time. Okay. Eddie, who do you cast as me? No. I cast Benicio Del Toro. What?
Well, that doesn't work. It doesn't work. What do you mean it doesn't work? I thought of that. Oh, come on. What do you mean it doesn't work? I thought of it, but the accent was what? Like the... He's too Mexican. He's very dark. He's very kind of brooding. I think he can pull off... You know, you guys are both Hispanic. I think it's a great choice. Well, I think that that is extraordinarily kind. But I think... I'm confused. See, I thought... the looks were perfect. It was like his acting style, like that's where I thought it was. The only thing I had a problem with is I don't know if he can pull off the humor. Yeah, yeah. See, that was my thought too. But I think we can work on it. Alright. Who did you cast as yourself? I'm going with... I cast Vince Vaughn as myself. Wow, Eddie. Wow. Love it. I just, you know, I like his goofiness. He's kind of slovenly like me a little bit. You know, I just... I think that was a decent choice. I don't think I necessarily look like Vince Vaughn, but I think he could play me. Who do you cast as Sky? This was the one I was having the most trouble with. But I decided to go with Sandra Bullock. And I'll tell you why. I went with Sandra Bullock because she really annoys me.
Wait a second. I don't really care for Sandra Bullock. That's not cool. And I thought she would be perfect in the role of Skye. See, now, you're not doing anything... See, I want to nail that they can... kind of pull off looking like. Yeah, I don't care about looks. I'm talking like personality. They got to pull off our character. I did it wrong. No, I tried to do all those things. I tried to put it all together. This is me as a casting director. I even did it where I'm like, okay, they may not look much like them, but they can nail the thing and we'll make them look like. That was exactly what I did too. But everybody casts in a different fashion. That's true. We're all different. Okay, who do you cast as Sean? Oh, no. This one is look, sound, everything. I went with Brad Garrett as Shaw. Wow. I love it. You got that deep voice. I love it. Very tall. Love it. Who did you cast as Ashley? This one was easy. Jessica Simpson. Really? Easily cast as Ashley. Who did you cast as Boston Rob? It's my favorite cast so far.
I looked deep into my Boston archives and pulled out Casey Affleck. Wow. We're going to shave the set. What about Zeth? Charlie Brown. That's perfect. That doesn't count. That's my cast. That's perfect. Sky. It's a good movie. Who did you cast? Well, I think it should be noted that Eddie and I casted three of the same people. Really? Eddie and I casted one of the same people. Okay, so who do you want me to start with? Me. Okay. Again, I was thinking about Benicio Del Toro for a long time, but I didn't think he could pull off the personality of Mike. So I went with Jon Favreau. Jon Favreau? Yes. Who's that? That's a weird choice.
The guy from Swingers. Which works perfectly with my casting of Eddie, Vince Vaughn. Oh. I like it. That's interesting. That's interesting. Because, yeah, Jon Favreau can do the comedy, but he's also got the serious. They play off each other well. Yeah. So I thought that dynamic was great with you two. Who did you cast as Eddie? Well, Vince Vaughn. Got it. Got it. Got it. Who did you cast as yourself? Oh, no. Angelina Jolie. Let's see. Who's the most beautiful woman in the world? Julia Roberts. Oh, get out of here. Great one. Great one. Because she can have fun. I love this bit. This is my favorite bit. She can have fun, but she can be serious and fight the man at the same time. She can hang with the boys. I picked her for that, too. Great one. You picked Julia Roberts for Skye? Yeah. Who did you pick for Shawnee O'Boy? Brad Garrett. Nice. Wow. Brad Garrett. Yep. Nice. Big old guy with the deep voice. Who did you pick for Ashley? Jessica Simpson. Really? Wow. What is this? What is this? Who did you pick for Rob? Rob. Again, we got another team dynamic working with Rob and Zeth in my casting. I went with Matt Damon for Rob. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Uh-huh.
And then we have his tall friend that kind of follows him around but doesn't speak much, Ben Affleck. Nice. Wow. For Seth. Good job. Sean, who did you cast for me? For Mikey, it was actually... I'm having trouble. I'm going to go with George Lopez. George Lopez? What? He's so racist. Hold on. My people reached out to James Edward Olmos. Edward James Olmos. That's awful. He was unavailable for the project. Edward James Olmos. He's 80. Maybe 68 years old. George Lopez. George Lopez, maybe 48 years old. We'll shave his head. Super Mexican. Puts on the voice. It's Sean's casting. If he wants to cast the wrong guy, that's fine. Oh, it won't be wrong. Sean, who did you cast for Eddie? For Eddie, I chose Will Ferrell. Nice. That's what I pick. I think he's funny enough, but we need someone that can pull off all the physicality, which is a challenge. And I think Will Ferrell is one of the few guys that can do it. Vince Vaughn is a good choice, but I don't think he can do the physical stuff. Who did you cast for Sky? For Sky, I chose Susan Sarandon.
Oh, how dare you, Sean. I'm okay with it. I'm okay with it. Once again, she can also handle the physical, but also she fits the liberal profile. That's true. It's a little old, but... Yeah, I thought so as well. Who would you cast... Highwood makeup, you'll never know. All right. Who would you cast for Ashley? For Ashley... Originally, we reached out to Jessica Simpson, but she's working on a project with Eddie and another right now. So we're going with Britney Spears. Whoa. I think it's good casting. Wow. I think it's good casting. Yeah, she's got the look and she's, you know, a dingbat. So, you know, it works. I think it could be good casting. Who did you cast for Rob? I don't have a southern accent. She obviously isn't going to speak in a southern accent. I don't have black hair. I'm not bald. Look at who is a guy that was in Miami Vice that's Irish. Colin Farrell. See, Colin Farrell. He plays a bunch of guys that aren't Irish. She doesn't even ask. Changes the accent. Crossroads. Who did you cast as Rob? For B-Rob, I chose Billy Baldwin. What? Why? Billy Baldwin. I thought that he could handle the high-low thing. I think he can pull that off.
Shave the head, grow the beard out. Billy Baldwin? Yeah, Billy Baldwin. The tall, skinny guy? He's got like dark hair. Like one of the Baldwin brothers? Yeah. He's too tall. Well, I didn't know he's that tall. All right. You know, why don't we go with Tom Cruise then? Okay. What about Warwick Davis? He's also way too tall. Warwick Davis. What about Zeph? For Zeph, I chose John Kerry. It's weird. You know, once again, through Hollywood makeup and theatrical lighting, I think we can bring the age back down. He's the right height. He's the right demeanor. The voice is right. It's good. You've got to go to MikeyShow.com so you can see what we all look like, and it'll make a little bit more sense. Oh, my gosh. Ashley, who did you cast as me? You were the most difficult. Okay.
Because I couldn't think of a Mexican actor who doesn't look Mexican, doesn't sound Mexican, is extremely serious and can be really intellectual, but can also be crazy, funny, weird, neurotic. I really had a hard time. So I finally went with Ben Stiller. These are all so different. They're so different. Because I thought that would... I think that Ben Stiller would be a really good job playing you. Okay. And then I put Will Ferrell for Eddie because I kind of was thinking like the same dynamic. Right. And I was bouncing between Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell. So that's weird. What about Sky? And then Sky, I either said, well, I said Debra Messing or Drew Barrymore. I like both those. That's nice. So I was kind of leaning more towards Debra Messing. What about Sean? Sean, I put John Goodman. Oh, wow. Let's make Ashley's movie. This is awesome. Who did you cast as yourself? Cameron Diaz.
Totally. That was a no-brainer. I think she would do a great job. There are no qualities in you that are in Cameron Diaz except for the blonde hair. Cameron Diaz, like in Charlie's Angel, is a perfect example where she can be fun and silly and cute and kind of spacey, but she's at the same time totally kick-ass. She can throw down and save the world if she needs to. Very much like you. What about Rob? For Robby, I put Johnny Depp. Nice. And I'm thinking, like, I was thinking Pirates of the Caribbean, I thought how Johnny Depp did such a good job at being, like, a drunk, dirty, crazy man. I think that's a good one. I like that. I like that one. It's way better than when he plays George Young in Blow. Shut up. What? No, I was thinking more. That's a great movie. What about, for the four people that saw Blow? You were so stupid. Oh, I hope you enjoyed that. And then for Zephy, I actually put Brad Garrett, which... Oh. Brad Garrett's in his 40s. Zeth is 22. I was just the only actor I could think of that is like slow and big and bulky and like slumpy with the strut and like doesn't really talk or like has anything to add to conversation. That's the only person I can say. Thank you. Thank you. That's all I got. Rob. Enough. Very quickly. Who did you...
Oh, I love this. Who did you cast as me? For you, we reached out to Cheech Marin. He's not available, so we had to get Danny DeVito. You're old. You're too old. Hold on, hold on, hold on. For Eddie, Will Ferrell, but he was busy doing something, so we got in Jim Carrey, which I'm very pleased to do, because the physical... Jim Carrey? I pictured him singing Lori, Lori, You Smell Like Onions, and it was brilliant. What's up with all these double picks? Actually, What about Sky? People were busy. Julia Roberts for Sky. Love it. Bizarro World. Love it. What about Sean? Sean, I had John Goodman. Uh-huh. Wow. For Ashley, we reached out. We really wanted to get Reese Witherspoon. She was busy, so we settled for Tara Reid. How dare you? That's a good call. Tara Reid's a really good call. How dare you? That's way better than mine. Yeah, I like that one. No. And yourself? Mark Wahlberg. Come on.
He's way too tall. Way too talented. And way too good looking. And way too good looking. Seth, for his acting debut, Tom from Blink-182. Wow. All right, Seth, real quick. Who did you cast as everybody? For you, I actually went with John Malkovich. John Malkovich? What? So weird. What? So weird. What? Eddie? Who did you cast for Eddie? Vince Vaughn. Yes. Who did you cast for Sky? Deborah Messing. Who did you cast? I think he's writing everybody's stuff down because he didn't think we'd go to him. Who did you cast for Sean? Brad Garrett. He's writing everybody's answers down. Absolutely. Ashley? I went with Lindsay Lohan. Rob? Johnny Knoxville. And you? Charlie Brown. He didn't think I was going to go to him. Alright, are you ready for mine? Here we go, Mike.
Come on, Mike. Bring it home. Here's who I cast as myself. I believe that this person is a good actor. I believe that this person could look like me. They could do it. Jason Alexander. Are you kidding? I believe if you shave his head and you give him a goatee, and I believe he's a good actor, I believe he could do it. Wow. Interesting. My choice for playing me. But boy, do I love Benicio Del Toro or Jon Favreau. I'll take it. My choice for Eddie, John C. Reilly. Somebody who in the movie Magnolia, three separate people go, he reminds me of Eddie. Really? Three separate people in the movie Magnolia go, he reminds me of Eddie. And he's funny. Shake and bake. Or Sky.
I'm telling you, when I thought of this person, I go, that's it. Elizabeth Berkley. I immediately went, that's the perfect Skye. I don't know if she's got the chops to pull off Skye, because Skye's a tough character. They have to really be, she would have to really act, but I think she could pull off the liberal. She got the look. The look, the liberal. Yeah, I think the look's good. Very showgirlsy. Yeah, definitely a stripper. I don't know, I see. Perfect. Okay. For Sean, I said Brad Garrett. Nice. Wow. For Ashley, I said Jessica Alba. Love it. I believe that if you dye Jessica Alba's hair blonde and she's a good actress, she could act like a dingbat. I think they physically kind of could be similar. Well, very similar. I don't see that. I think she is a natural brunette like Ashley is. And you dye it blonde, I think you have the same look. And then I think she could play the part, personally. Love that. Rob.
I put Matt Damon. But I really like the Johnny Depp. I really like him because Johnny Depp can do anything. He's Casey Affleck. Johnny Depp. It's a money role. Yeah, I like Casey Affleck a lot. And for Zeth, I put John Krasinski. Not bad. I think that John, you know, he'd have to act and everything. Yeah. Just wouldn't talk. Right? Yeah. He basically just has to say, but I think that he could do this sort of slumped kind of, you know, thing. You know what I'm talking about? Let's make this movie. I'm in. That was one of the funnest exercises we've ever been through. So good. Well, we'll have to find out why Dr. Phil is looming out in the lobby right now. And I still have to tell you what... famous A-list female celebrity split her pants. Was it at the red carpet, Sky? Yep. On the red carpet in the paparazzi store taking pictures of her red underwear that she was wearing. I love it. I'll tell you who it is next. Mike was here. The Mikey Show continues. Next. Mike is a 5-3.

Oh, and you know, I keep them for sentimental reasons. This one's the first movie you took me to. That one's our first concert together. Oh. Forget it, you won't understand. So I give my Altima's powerful engine a little rev. Best to let him know I'm there. And he turns his head my way, smiles, and says, Hey ladies, why don't you pull over and hop in my ride? Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We're seeing some tough rides on our freeways now this morning. Both the 5 and the 5 northbound are pretty tough here out of the South Bay, out of Chula Vista, up to National City on both these freeways. 805 continues pretty heavy all the way into Mission Valley. And that's stacked up from Mesa College Solid all the way up to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5 is quite busy as well, approaching the 15. That's a slow ride into downtown to the S-curve there. Westbound 94, a little slow now from College Grove Way to the 805, then again into downtown. Traveling westbound on the 8th this morning through La Mesa, backed up from Severin Drive now all the way to Lake Murray. Lunches up again right around the 805 freeway, and then one more time from the 163 into Hotel Circle. Westbound 52 has got plenty of brake lights as well at a Santee from the 125 all the way to the top of the summit. This 15th South is messed up. Pretty much as well. From El Norte Parkway is where those breaklights begin. And that's a tough ride through Escondido to Fiorancho. The coaster rides southbound 5. It's got quite a struggle now from Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad all the way down to the racetrack in Del Mar. Don Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Sarah, pull the microphone up. Yes, Mikey. You went to AIS? Yes, I did. What did you think? That I was BSing you? No, I'm just what you call a procrastinator. You finally did it? Yeah. And?
It was super easy. I was paying $188 before a month, and now I pay $63 a month. For six months, it saved me $714. Yeah, very nice. So for a whole year, $1,400. Yeah. Think about all that. Now, see, instead of writing a checkout every month to an insurance company, you can spend the money on yourself. Yeah. Pretty nice, right? Yeah, that is nice. It is very nice. I've told people for so long about AIS, and some people just take a while to get around to doing it. Give them a call. 1-800-777-4247. 1-800-777-4AIS. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. We're mentally going south, it's Radio Rubio's. Charles Walter reporting from Puerto Nuevo, Mexico, where Rubio's enchiladas and the tantalizing sauce that made them famous are the talk of the town. Here, where Ralph Rubio first discovered Baja's fish tacos, the townspeople will celebrate the return of enchiladas to the Rubio's menu with the first-ever Enchilada Regatta, a parade of tanker-sized enchiladas that will sail north, spreading the enchilada gospel. Ricardo Salinas will captain a 400-foot carnitas enchilada. Rubio's enchiladas are stuffed with char-grilled chicken, slow-roasted carnitas, or jack-and-cheddar cheeses. They feature a rich, savory enchilada sauce made from fire-roasted tomatoes, chiles, and spices. So delicious, I have jailed six of the crew for nibbling on my vessel. Rubio's makes the sauce. The sauce makes the enchiladas. For a limited time, only at Rubio's. It's Radio's. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I'm 37 years old. Uh...

Sean. The sky's right. I got Boston on my mind. Ashley. I despise theme parties. They make me really uncomfortable, and I hate them. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey show at 727. Three protesters were arrested at the Calexico border after setting up a cross-border kissing booth. Turns out Adrian Peterson does have a torn knee ligament, but it doesn't require surgery, and he's going to miss probably at least two weeks. Really? Yeah. Oh, my. Email here. Oh. Oh, wow. Wonderful. Yes, I have an email. Break it down for me, Mikey. Well, it says, Hey, Mikey show, what's up?
Have a quick question I wanted to ask you guys about. My good friend wants to go on a trip with me to Ireland. She's one of my best friends, but there's a bit of an issue. She tends to not pick up her side of the check. Wow. She's a bit of a free luncher herself. Oh, wow. Yes. That's Sky's nickname. We call Sky Freeland. That's not my nickname. That's not my nickname. Sky. We haven't been out to lunch in years. We shouldn't pay for lunch. And I'm sure a lot of people know free lunchers out there. And it sucks. That's right. A free luncher is where you go to lunch and when everybody's going to grab the check, there's always the free luncher that doesn't go to grab the check. That kind of looks away. Or strikes up a conversation with somebody. Right at that moment. That's a money move. Shut up. Never, never did that. So it says she's a bit of a free luncher herself. So if she comes with me, which could be a lot of fun, I don't want to be stuck paying for everything. I'm already going to be strapped by taking the trip in the first place. What do you think I should do? It's signed P1, Amanda. I know exactly what you do. You ask a professional. Today on Dr. Phil, I want you to get excited about your life. You're going to talk to me. You're going to have to be honest. This is going to be...
changing days in your life. Doctor, what? Dog the Bounty Hunter? Dog the Bounty Hunter? That's terrible. I am not Dog the Bounty Hunter. No, I am not. However, I do hate the Blacks. Don't say that. You're kidding. This is Dr. Phil McGraw. Okay, you're kidding. That was a joke. Can I clear something up, by the way? I hope so. I was listening earlier when Mikey said that he saw me in the lobby and I wasn't doing anything. I was just sitting there. What's up with that? It's so weird. He didn't see me in the lobby. He saw me in the restroom. He knows exactly what I was doing. Weird way. He never said that.
Anyway, I was listening to this email from P1 Veranda. It's Amanda. And you know it is. I do not. I thought she said veranda. You thought she was a balcony. Well, I thought, wow, maybe hippie parents or something. Anyway, let's address Amanda's problem here. Please do. I know this is a crazy idea, Amanda, but why don't you just pay? I mean, if Mikey and Eddie and Boy Blunder and Sean had a cold sore for every time they had to pick up a lunch for Sky, there'd be a little old herpy factor. Oh, that's true. That is the truth. And you know we never invited Blunder, so please. Another accurate point. Whoa. And a funny low blow is what that is. Yes, it was. Yes, it was. Anyway, let's address this free luncher here. It's a very unfortunate condition that I am very familiar with. Really? Yes. I actually had a patient once that had this disorder. What she would do is she would go to lunch with her friends on a daily basis. Did you hear that? Yeah. Daily basis. A daily...
Every day. Wow, that's a lot. Not a day skipped. Seven days a week. And would never pay. Ever? Not once, Eddie. Oh, man. Finally, the friends had to stop going to lunch with her all together to teach her a lesson. But one of the symptoms of being diagnosed with free lunch is that you don't realize how selfish you are even after the friends stop going to lunch with you. Really? Now, if they offered it up today, Scott, I mean... Dr. Phil! Dr. Phil! What did you say? You weren't even there, okay? So you don't know. Dr. Phil! You don't know. What are you doing? What do you say? This is crap. If it were offered up today. Why did he say your name's fine? Because he's an ass face. My patient. That's why. An ass face wearing an ass hat. Hang on. Yeah, that's you. Let him give the advice. I don't have my ass hat. If it were offered up today, my patient would still take the free lunch. It's so sad. There's no cure.
Yes, I see you looking at me. Dr. Phil. I was trying to hit my eyes. Dr. Phil. Terrible. Got it. He's saying your name. I was thinking about doing a walk-a-thon or something. Oh, for what? A walk-a-thon for what? But I thought about it and I was like, you know the free luncher just show up and eat all the free donuts and orange slices. Really? I was like, man, I can't do that. I was thinking about it. You should have. Can we please? focus on Amanda's email. Let's get real here for a second. Thank you. You need to take this trip with your friend. You do need to do it. You go to a remote part of Ireland and you find a restaurant there and you order as much food and expensive drink as you can. Really run that bill up. You know what I'm saying? And then excuse yourself to the restroom and split. That's not cool. Leave that free luncher there to fend for herself in the middle of nowhere. It's bad. And when she asks you why you left her, just say you were looking for an ATM because you knew that you had to pick the bill up, like always. Two rungs do not make a right. And she'll probably take the subtle hint. That's not very subtle. No, not subtle at all. All right. Let's get real here with P1 Alexandra. It's Amanda. You are the worst.
No, I honestly forgot. Yeah. There is a family member of mine who does this as well. And it's actually, if we can be real with each other, P1's listening, it drives me nuts. Okay? It's my oldest daughter. And whenever we meet or we go out to get a bite or catch up or whatever, she thinks that she can stick me with the bill every single time. Okay? And frankly, I'm sick and tired of it. And her constantly saying to me, Eddie, I'm only 12 years old. You know what I mean? And I say to her, hey, listen, fathead, you get allowance every month. How about taking a little bit more responsibility for yourself instead of trying to rely on me and your mother? Everything. She's not even a teenager yet. Mooch. Hey, that's your daughter. She's like my oldest daughter. She's 12. You don't have a daughter. Here's what you can do to fix the problem. When you're out to eat, every time the waiter comes over, pretend you don't speak English. What? I like this. Now, listen, don't...
pretend that you speak Spanish because everyone knows you can hardly swing a dead cat around this place without hitting an illegal from TJ. There's plenty of legal people who speak Spanish. What I usually do is I make those clickety-clack sounds like a Bushman. What are you talking about? Because nobody speaks it and he usually creeps out the waitstown. I'll be like... I'll be like... I don't think you do that. That is awful. If the waiter even thinks about trying to give you the check, just start clicking away like a pair of tap shoes during Sky's creepy interpretive dance routine. I did not tap. I did not tap. People liked my routine, okay? There was no tapping. And it wasn't creepy. So shut up. In addition... Creep Marilyn Manson out. It did not. It scared Marilyn Manson. Okay. Hey, Dr. Phil. Enough. Sorry about that. I'm Dr. Phil. In addition to my leech of a daughter, I also have a friend that does it, too. Her name starts with an O, ends with an H. And this may be hard to believe, but Oprah's worse than Skye. No way. It's impossible. I mean, at least Skye picks up. At least Skye, rather, up.
picked up check at a really cheap restaurant one time. Stop it. It was more than once. No, it was not. No, it was more than once. More than once. I'll go back through my record. Please do. Oh, I will. Mikey just IM me said it was one time. It was. And it was a real cheap restaurant, right, Eddie? It was a $6 bill. Stop it. Yeah. It was beyond ridiculous how cheap that place was. Not true. Embarrassing, to be honest. Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah. Oprah's as cheap as Sky. That's all I wanted to say. Shut up. Are you done yet? It's on the record. It's on the record. You are listening to The Mikey Show. Indeed you are. Five three. There's a hard driving beat called the rhythm of the street and it tells you this city's alive. I am just because it makes other people Weirded out. Unless I'm provoked. Mikey's show's on. Self in, kids. Rock 105.3. It's 7.45. Producers for The Tonight Show are considering bringing in guest hosts next week since Jay Leno won't cross the writer's picket line. 49ers have no offense. Losing to Seattle last night at Monday Night Football 24 to nothing. Can we please say what we were talking about right now? Oh, you have to. Please. You have to. You're so lame.
Opposites. What? Opposites. Well, because you guys get all like, like you always make something out of nothing. Were you just in the bathroom, Sean? Did you hear what was going on? No, I was doing something else while you guys were talking. Oh, my. What happened? It's nothing, Sean. I'll tell you what happened. Shut up. You're so lame. Skye was just telling us how she was at the grocery store and realized that she didn't have, what, your wallet or your cash? My wallet. and asked a stranger if she could borrow money and got her name and number and is going to pay her back or already did pay her back or going to pay her back yeah as soon as i got home i dropped a check in the mailbox well i unloaded my groceries first so things wouldn't spoil and then i went up to the office and wrote a check and dropped it in the mail so it'll go out today you're electric crazy but it's not like
I feel like I just went up to random people and were asking for money, Sean. You know how these guys make things sound so much more dramatic. So you knew the person? Well, no, I did. You didn't. Okay, so in line at Vons. I'm a Vons shopper, part of the Vons club. So in line at Vons. And, you know, it was kind of long. Like, they normally are real good about their checkers. But, you know, they only had a couple checkers working. But anyway, so me and this chick kind of got to talking. We kind of, like, made eye contact and kind of, oh. Very romantic. Lovely. Well, no, it's kind of like, oh, what's up with this line? Normally, you know, there's not much of a way, blah, blah, blah. You know, because I go shopping in the middle of the day on the weekday to try and avoid all the crowds. And so anyway. So, we're doing a little chit-chat. Nothing big. Just, you know, superficial stuff. And then finally, it's my turn. And I was... Yeah, I had a pretty decent cart full of stuff. And so, I load everything. How much are we talking? It was a little bit over $50. Oh, my God. It was a little bit over $50. Okay. Oh, my God. Okay. So... What? So, you know, get to... She's, like, almost done doing my stuff. And I'm going, oh, I haven't swiped my Vons Club card yet.
because you can swipe the club right there on the card on the credit card machine. So I go, and my purse is kind of like the black hole. My husband makes fun of me because I have one of those big oversized purses. He calls me a bad lady or whatever. So I'm digging through this thing, and I can't find my wallet. So it gets to the point where I start emptying everything out onto that little stand thing. Well, because I knew it. had to be in there somewhere. I've never gone out without my wallet before. Great visual. Right? Yes. So I'm like trying to balance everything on the little thing, you know, whatever. So, no wallet anywhere in the purse. What the hell? And then it dawns on me that I must have left it in the office because what I do is when I put receipts, like ATM receipts, I put it in my wallet and then I'll take my wallet into the office, balance the checkbook, and then put the wallet back in the purse. Well, I must have left the wallet in the office. Can we say what, Vons? I just want a complete visual. Oh, no. Come on. Come on. Why do you have to out my Vons? I want a complete visual. Don't have a wanted post. Right? Why do you have to out my Vons?
Do not give money to this lady. Dude, you know when you're in Vons and they have pictures of the employees? There's also a framed picture of Skye that says do not sell groceries. Skrill. Oh, man. Can you stop it? Please. Stop it. So, what happened? So, I basically, you know, the light bulb goes off. I remember left the wallet in the office. Your stomach had to drop. Oh, it totally did. Because, you know me, first of all, I'm extremely responsible when it comes to money. So, like, I don't even know how to proceed from this, right? Plus the fact that the line's pretty long. I've already waited for a long time. So there's people behind you? Yeah. It's easy, though. It's easy. You say, hey, listen, I got to go get my wallet. If you can, just put my groceries aside. Yeah. Right? That's what I would do. Absolutely. Well, it didn't really get to that. Because I'm kind of, like, in a panic. And, you know, and since I had just been conversating with the lady behind me. It's conversing. Conversing with the lady behind me. What's conversating? Is that even a word? That's a word you made up. Okay, cool. Awesome word. Thank you. I use it all the time. There you go. So since we. I'm no Spanish. We noticed. Since we had been kind of chatting, I, you know, and.
And I kind of got a vibe from this lady that she knew who I was. That she's like. Oh, here we go. Well, I just got that vibe. Wait a second. I just got that vibe. No. Okay. That's a new one. It could have been. It would have been off, but I kind of got that vibe. Oh, you are brutal, dude. Like, knew who you were from the radio? Yeah. Yes. You can relate, right? You're a celebrity, too. Yeah, well, not as big as me. I'm not saying I'm a celebrity. I'm not saying that. Usually, I make reservations at Vons. Shut up. But on this particular day, I didn't. But I thought, oh, someone's bound to recognize me. I have my personal shop I usually go. This day, I really wanted my chips ahoy, so I had to go myself. I could be wrong, but I definitely got that vibe. You know when you get that vibe where somebody, like, they hear your voice and then their head, like, whips around? Your voice is very recognizable. Well, see, that's what I'm saying. It happens to me sometimes. My head would whip around, too. You know, it's that moment where you want to say, yes, it's me. I'll pay for my food.
You know, that moment when you have to put on the sunglasses because of the glare from the flashbulb. Yes. Now, guys, hang on a second. When you think about it, isn't her paying for my groceries sort of payment for what I do every day? Well, it's a privilege, to be honest. No one is saying any of that. If we're being honest. No one is saying any of that. I'm just trying to illustrate the fact that there was some sort of, like, vibe between the two of us. You know, we weren't just two, like, random strangers in a grocery store. The vibe was, I'm a celebrity and you're recognized. And you're not. That's not what I'm saying. It was that celebrity peon vibe. That's not even close to what I'm saying. How I deal with all my fans. That's the exact opposite of what I'm saying. You know, that thing that happens when I can't get a hold of Guadalupe, my personal shop. I don't know anyone. Now stop all this scuttlebutt and pay for my food. I said, I got a deal for you. You pick up the Dan and I'll give you a signature. How's that sound? Are you kidding me? You get this Dan and this Evian. Terrible. The turkey branch. Yoplait and Awkwafina. Thank you. Yoplait and Awkwafina. Get it right. Okay. So anyway. I don't even want to tell this anymore. I don't even want to tell this.
How? How, Eddie? How? Okay, so I'm like, I'm, what is, exasperated the right word? I'm like flustered. Wait, wait, wait. I have a question. Yeah? She sees you doing this. She hasn't offered? Well, no, so it's... It's to the point, like... She hasn't offered? Well, she kind of did. Okay, so here's how... How do you kind of offer? So I'm at the point. I said, pay for my food. And she said, huh? This is, you know, offering. Actually, she offered. It happened like this. I said, will you pay for this? And she said, I guess. Offering. You know, offer. Do you want to hear it or not? Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Then be cool. You guys be cool. Yeah. No, I'm talking to you, Klaus. Oh. Thank you, Ashley. Whatever. Yes, be wrong. So I'm at the point where it's completely clear to me that I left my wallet in the office at home. It's clear to me that I do not have my wallet. And so I'm frustrated, and I look to her, because we had just been chatting a little while ago, and I go, oh my gosh, can you believe this? I don't even have my wallet with me. I feel like such an ass. That sounds like such a scam. Oh, it does.
Well, it was just a gut reaction. Dude, I would look at you and go, well. Well, but not if you knew who she was. Not if you knew who she was. If Angelina Jolie. Shut up. That's true. I would pay for Angelina Jolie's groceries. Do you want to hear the rest? If Julia Roberts said. Wait. If that person knew that this was Skye, then they would know Skye is not a scammer. Yeah. And I don't know 100% if the person. I don't know. I don't know. You didn't ask? No. Do you know who I am? Like, you get the people looking at you, and I never want to be like, oh, are you looking at me because I have something weird on my face, or are you looking at me because you know who I am? No, I never do that. Guys, listen. I wait for them to bring it up. This was an unusual circumstance, anyway, because usually I call ahead to Vaughn's. They empty the store for me. Okay, that's fine. That's fine. So I can stop in peace. No! No! I have to know! No! I have to know, please. I'll be quiet. P1 Dan? Yes, Mikey. How you doing? What did you want to say? Hey, don't you think Sky's taking free lunch to a whole new level? How dare you? Oh, it's so true. Her new name should be Free Groceries. Free Groceries. I don't know, please. Listen, this could happen to any of us. So what you said... I just was basically...
Like looking at her, you know, like all upset going, oh my gosh, I can't believe this. Right. You know? And then I said. Like for five minutes. No. This is all going on real quick, people. Because there's a line of freaking people behind us. Right. Yes, all you people. And so I had no clue what to do. I've never been in this situation before. So I said. You always have hundreds on me. Sean. Do you take gold bullion? I'm sorry. It was right there. That's not worthy of a checkout. Will you take this diamond studded pen? You guys are the worst. What about just my autograph, Vons? Would you accept that as payment? It's as good as gold. I'll tell you what. What if, what if as part of my groceries we throw in a disposable camera and I allow you, I allow you to take a picture with me? You guys! What about cougar ants? It's not fine. How about Swiss francs? Lira. Yen. I have it all. I mean, it's all in my glove compartment. Every freaking currency in the world. Let me run to the beach car real quick. She doesn't even have the beach car anymore. P1 Josh. Oh, let me go to the gas cars like that. P1 Josh. She has the Honda. Go ahead. Yes. Well, that's one of them. Shut up.
I was wondering if the tables would turn and she would pay for somebody else's groceries. I do believe she would. I think she would. Eddie, don't you think she would? I don't think she would. And it's not because she's a jerk. It's not because she's a jerk. Right, shouldn't trust. But Skye is very, yeah, she's not the most trusting person in the world. She would think it was a scam. She would. On that race. No. If it were Mikey. Stop it. Hell no. Hell no. Brownie. She's married to a Meg. Mexican. But not by choice. It was an arranged marriage. By default. The King of Salaam. So full of crap. Well, actually, it's the King of Salaam-y. Oh, my God. Prince of Salaam-y. There's the Prince of Salaam-y set up already. You mentioned they tear all the time. I mean, rip right in two. Ivy. Good. Go with that. Oh, my God. Nice one, Ashley. Thanks. Please tell us how this went down. Please tell us. I beg you. No. No. Because yours is better. Yours is better. Yours is better. If you're just tuning in. This did not happen. Skye went to the grocery store. She forgot her wallet. The woman behind her recognized her. I thought you did. Maybe did. Skye thought. She thought. Skye said. It got a vibe. She knew who I was.
And what did you say? So did you just flat out say, listen, can you do me a favor and spot me here? Everybody be cool. Why are you saying it? Oh, wait. What? All right, guys, be cool. I'm being serious. Knock it off, Ash. You too, Zeth. Sorry, Skye, please. What did you say to this woman? How old is she? Can I just speak for like one minute? In silence. I'll turn my mic off. To get it out. I'll turn my mic off. And then go to town, you guys. Then do it. And go to town. Quit wasting our time. Please. I don't know. She looked like she was in her late 30s, Mike. So I turn around. I'm frustrated. And I've just explained that I don't have my wallet. And I look at her and I say, there's no possible way you could, you know, just kind of let the word could kind of hang there.
And she goes, yeah, that's, you know, that's fine. And I said, okay. Was she like that about it? Well, she was kind of like, like she wasn't jumping for joy about it, but she was like, oh, she kind of understood the situation. And as soon as she even started hinting at saying like, okay, I was like, and I'm going to get your address and I will put a check in the mail for you right now. Or even if you want to follow me to my house, I just live a couple blocks away. And she's like, no, no, no. But I could tell she was like a little. And she did. And I went home and I put the check right in the mail. And I want to, like, send flowers. Like, I don't know what's appropriate. I don't want to, like, overdo it. You never heard back from her or anything? And be weird. No. She's just mailing it. Yeah, it just happened yesterday. And I offered. I said, you can follow me to my house. And she said, no. She let me just drop it in the mail. That is one of the most electric stories. Wow. That's crazy. Especially when she was throwing attitude at the end. Yeah, it sounds like she was like, okay, fine. I wouldn't be able to take it. No way. Really? No, no, no, no. At that point, your pot committed. Yeah, what can I do? I mean, there's all these people behind me. What was I going to do? I've run out of the store.
You just run? Yeah. But that's just where I shop at. Like, I have to find a different store. You've got to say to the cashier, like, I am really sorry. I forgot. I'm sure they deal with that all the time. All the time. Yeah, look at Rob. I mean, you know he's good. He never has money when he goes in there. Well, that woman saved the day. And if she is a listener, thank you so much. Do you want to say her name or no? You don't have to. But if you want to, you can. Oh, I'll just say her first name. Cindy, thank you very much. You are a generous soul. And the check is in the mail. Hopefully she's listening. Save the day. And, yes, I'll send a photograph. Shut up! This is The Mikey Show. We are in the middle of a busy commute right now. Might want to give yourself some extra time. All our freeways are pretty jammed up, so you're more than likely going to need it. Starts off out of the East County. There's a new accident westbound near Lake Jennings Park Road involving a big rig. Medical crews are responding to this one. Then you're going to find the backup from Jackson Drive. Pretty solid all the way to the 805 freeway. Heavy again from the 163 through Hotel Circle to that busy 5, which is pretty backed up out of Old Town into Mission Bay right now. 5 Freeway out of the South Bay is very heavy, still out of Chula Vista up to National City, then to downtown. 805 Northbound, struggling out of Chula Vista, pretty solid. It continues through North Park, over Mission Valley, up the hill into Kearney Mesa, all the way to Governor Drive. South 15, slow and go still from pretty much El Norte Parkway all the way to Villarancho. But then you're going to find a slowdown coming over Rancho Bernardo into Poway, down in towards around Mercy Road. Then bunches up again in Scripps Ranch around Carroll Canyon. And the coaster ride, South Bond 5, quite the struggle here from Point City Lane in Carlsbad, solid past the racetrack in Del Mar. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 4053. Mikey Show, hello. It's P1 John, how you doing? What's up, John? None much. Look, I switched over to AIS yesterday, and these guys saved me $296 a month in car insurance. And now they dropped it down to practically $150 a month. And I had SR22 from a DUI. Ooh, and they still did that for you? Absolutely. Nice.
See, that's a great thing. I cannot thank you enough. No, that's cool, dude. Don't thank me. Thank AIS, dude. Sometimes people, when they hear me talking about AIS so much, they don't realize that there are real people out there that are saving the dough, and you're one of them. Absolutely. Because AIS is like a broker. Yeah, I didn't even realize that there were a brokerage, so that's where it really surprised me. It's awesome. All right, here's the phone number, 1-800-777-4AIS. That's 1-800-777-4247. Thank you, dude. I appreciate the phone call. Hey, no problem, Mikey. All right, man. We'll see you. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. That's so funny, it deserves me to throw up. KIOC San Diego's Rock 53. The Mikey Show continues featuring Mikey. The host of the show is a freak show. Eddie. I shower at night and I do my hair at night. Gross. Sean. Well, you know. Formist. Boston Rob. Nothing in my life. Nothing in my life. Ashley. My food with you. The Mikey Show's on. I hear you, buddy. No, 5-3. I keep forgetting to tell you who split their pants on the red carpet. It's 8-0-8.
The Pentagon announced that they have started reversing this year's troop surge in Iraq. Well, it's official. Kansas City Chiefs are now going to go with Brody Croyle as their starting quarterback. Good luck. That's good news for us in the division. So it was Angelina Jolie that she was on the red carpet, right? Shut up. She's on the red carpet. Everyone knows she's so obese. She's so overweight. It's almost as embarrassing as not having your wallet at the grocery store. I think showing my underwear because the whole world is on a different level. I'm really sorry. Color him embarrassed. Shut up. Angelina Jolie is at the premiere of Beowulf. Which a movie Eddie's going to go see. I'm going tonight. He's going to see the premiere, yeah. Now, Beowulf, for those of you that don't know, it's a cartoon. Kind of. I mean, isn't it? It's that new thing that Robert Zemeckis does where it's like that, what's it called, Sean? Like stop action something motion. Stop action comedy. Stop motion. Motion capture. There it is.
Cut 38. Here's Angelina. I wouldn't call this animation because we're physically doing all of these things. Every single gesture is ours and everything is acted out exactly by us. Even where our eyeballs move because this is a new thing are exactly where we look because they were mapped exactly. So it is our performances and we had these scenes together. Yeah, but you were a French in your brother at the Oscars. Oh, wow. But she's a serious actress now. You were at the UN. You were a French in your brother. So, yeah, she was wearing a pair of skin-tight Versace leather pants on the red carpet. And they split right the seam that's right in the butt, you know. And so as they walk down. How tight must those pants have been? Seriously. Dude. And she's already like a size minus four. Yeah, totally. So as they're walking the red carpet, Brad has his hand like fanned out over that part, trying to cover it the best he could. But, of course, the paparazzi. Zoomed in. Brad, P1 Brad was there. P1 Brad zoomed his camera in and got a little snapshot of her red thong being exposed from the... Ashley calls it a thonga. Ash, what's with your hand? What's going on with your hand? Oh, I gashed it open last night. On what? On a glass. A glass? What'd you do? A schooner, if you will. A goblet. A schooner?
Do you drink your milk out of a goblet now? Apple juice? No, guys, it was red wine. I have these green schooner type cups. They're really cool. Schooner. That's what we used to call our big goblet cups at Joe's Crab Chat. Eddie, what is she saying? Schooner. A schooner? A boat? Schooner. Yeah, I thought a schooner was a boat. Well, it is, Mike. Or it's also a thing that you drink out of. Whatever, goblet. It was a big glass. But basically what happened was... I was doing my normal routine at night, which is take the already pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough from the fridge, bake up a couple of chocolate chip cookies. You bake cookies really every night? Pretty much. Wow. For yourself? Yeah, she loves them. It's my dessert every night. Like, I normally on Sundays or maybe Monday, like yesterday was when I make the batch. I'll make a homemade batch from scratch. Is it a routine of yours every night to turn the oven on and let it heat up kind of thing? Totally, yeah. And then, well, I like to make them fresh because I like them fresh out of the oven. So, every night, because I'll save all the cookie dough. Like, yesterday I made a couple. And then...
I save the rest of the cookie dough. So then like tonight, I'll just pull out the cookie dough and I'll scoop out like four cookies onto a little plate. Or I mean a cookie sheet and bake them real quick. But she loves them. It takes two seconds. It's not a big deal. So then what happens? So I'm baking out my cookies and I like to get my calcium by drinking my milk with my cookies. Can she just say anything normal? So you're drinking your milk. So I'm going to get a cup from the cupboard. to get my milk, to pour my milk in it. And I wanted to get, like, a smaller, because the goblet was too much milk. So I wanted to get the cup behind the goblet. And as opposed to just moving the goblet over, I, like, tried to just kind of stick my hand around and grab. And, like, I bumped it, and it slipped off and came crashing down, because it was on the second shelf, right onto the counter, which is granite countertop. So glass on, well, you know, and so it just... It shattered. Glass on glass? Is she about to say? Glass on granite. Glass on glass. You know, it just shattered. You need a reality show. All over my hand and just sliced my hands. You mean, wait a second. Blood went everywhere. Glass went everywhere. When it initially...
crashed into the granite it splashed up and cut your hand because what happened was i was reaching up behind it and so when it started to fall like i kind of dropped my hand like oh yeah and it fell right next to my hand and the glass splattered everywhere and just one of the big pieces cut your hand so then i'm sitting there blood's going everywhere and you know this was it was like the first time that i realized i'm like i live by myself and if something happens like It's just me. So, like, I had to, like, you know, get the blood under control, sweep up all the glass. Like, my cookies are in the oven. This happened to me one time. And the timing was so bad. It happened to look like defensive wounds. That's right. I was very upset one time. And a glass. Just shattered in my hand. Right. Because I was so upset. Yeah. Well, I was. Freaking mad. Here's what happened. Okay. I was at my hotel minding my own business. In Chicago, not in Brentwood. Oh, Chicago, 3,421 miles away from Brentwood, California. Alibi. Alibi. Anyway. Because I was out of town.
That's right, because I was not in California at the time. All right, you've made that clear many times. I rushed there. Yeah, right. Okay. It was over 1,400,000 yards. Okay, OJ, what are you... Single season record, but I guess it doesn't count. Anyway, I'm there at the hotel, the phone rings, and I pick it up and I said, this is OJ Simpson. Uh-huh. Holla Samer. Yes. Speaking. Right. And the person on the other end of the line said, Your wife's been double murdered. Double murdered! What an absolute surprise! I better not break this glass in my hand. Ah, too late. That's a interesting story. So that's what happened. Oh, I've never heard that version. Yeah, so anyway, actually, I can relate. Yeah, it hurts. And talk about cleaning up blood. I mean, it was everywhere. I wasn't cleaning that much. I mean, there were puddles everywhere. It was everywhere. I was not. Right. What? Yes. To be honest.
You are not being honest, OJ. The place where I wasn't is where the blood was. All right. He's not that funny. Jesus is calling in. He wants to ask about Skye and asking the lady to pay at the grocery store. What was your question, Jesus? Yeah, I was wondering if Skye paid the exact amount. Or if she gave the lady maybe like an extra $20, $10 for the troubles. Awesome. Good question for the troubles. A little tip. No, I didn't even think about that. I wrote the check for the exact amount, and I want to send something, but I don't know if, like, I think flowers are too cheesy. I don't know. How about a honey-baked ham? Oh, it's always a wonderful gift. It's a gift. Especially around the holidays. Around the holidays, it would make a really great gift. Honey-baked. Well, I don't know. What about this new product from Joan Soda? they could toast each other with the new soda. Have I mentioned the new soda? No, you haven't. My mouth is watering. I think it's an old story now and we shouldn't talk about it. I haven't mentioned the story about Joan's soda coming out with a ham flavored soda. I'll be right back. I am not making that up. I am not making that up. And I'll tell you, the reason you know I'm not making it up, only 421 key ones.
Skye, how many did you get? More than you can count, right? Too many. Still coming in? Oh, yeah. So what's the deal? They do like food-flavored soda? Yeah, they have always done food-flavored soda, but now they've come out with, for the holidays, ham-flavored soda. We have to get some. I like ham. Of course. And have her try it. Of course. Come get some ham! Yeah, they have a new Christmas pack that will feature... Why are you so defeated? Aren't you happy? Sugar plum, Christmas tree, eggnog, and Christmas ham. It's a variety pack for the holiday. Where is Thanksgiving this year? You're doing it? Yeah. And you're doing turkey and ham, right? That was a discussion that we had. Uh-oh. Here we go. Here we go. She just tells us now that this is a discussion. I didn't even think about it until now. Who was the discussion with? The hub. Of course. And what was the discussion? Well, turkey's a given, but we would like to have an alternative, just in case you don't enjoy turkey. For all the people that hate turkey. Yeah.
It was between honey baked ham and my husband's burgundy pepper tri-tip. Ooh, that is an argument. For Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving? Seems strange. Burgundy pepper. The turkey or, you know, and then like a backup for people who don't like turkey. Has it always been the honey baked ham? Well, ham is traditional at the holidays. Absolutely. Not at Thanksgiving. It can be. You call Honey Baked Up and ask them what their two, three biggest days of the year are. I would like to take a vote on who won the argument. Well, you can vote, but there was no decision made. Okay, I have a question. I'd like to vote on who will win the argument. Obviously, you want the ham. Well, I mean, leftovers never hurt anybody. And he wants to make this tri-tip. Because he knows that we will do the ham for Christmas. We're going to play the percentage game. I love it. Here we go. No. Percentage of chance that peppercorn what? Burgundy pepper tri-tip. Burgundy pepper tri-tip is the alternative. Percentage. Zero. Zero percent chance. Yeah. Let's see. Sean? I'm actually going to go a little bit higher. I will say 20 percent chance. He has no say, Sean. I know, but... Are you crazy? Ashley? I think he's...
Of course. For those of you that are new, Ashley doesn't think that, but she supports Sky regardless. No matter what. I do think that, actually. No matter what. 100% I think that. Because she knows we're a team. Girl power. I 100% think that. Girl power. No, not even close. For your information, actually. Oh, completely close. No, no, no, no. Boston Rock. Oh, buddy. Percentage of chance that it'll be the... Dude, it'll be a cold day in hell if I don't... If Sky doesn't get her honey bags. So you'll say... It has to be zero. Zero. Come on. That a boy, Rob. It has to be. What about you, Zethia Notes? I'll give it a 5% chance. Oh, that's a lie. He doesn't know her well enough. Well... He's new. Guys, I have to tell you that Eddie and Boston Rob are absolutely correct. The answer is... We win. The answer is... Well, there's no answer yet. Zero percent chance. The answer hasn't been decided yet. Really? And maybe just to spite you guys. Yes, yes. Do it now. On the air. On the air. No ham. No ham. We will be having turkey and tri-tip this thing. Why don't you have all three? Wow, that is neat. That is really cool. I like it. Well, see, you can pick up a honey-baked ham any day of the year. Got you. So I'll pick one up the day after. You can't make a tri-tip any time of the year? Well, what are you talking about? I'm trying to give you
guys what you want. I'm just confused. And now you're going to play the other side. Now you're going to play the other side. No, no, no. All right, Eddie, percentage of chance she'll actually go through with this. Zero. Zero. Now here's just devil's advocate here. To me, the tri-tip... Those flavors don't mix well with the side dishes. With mashed potatoes? And stuffing and all that stuff. I would not want tri-tip. I would much rather have ham with the gravy and all that good stuff. The only thing tri-tip goes with is the mashed potatoes. Yeah. Well, I don't know. And you're putting gravy on the mashed potatoes, which kind of ruins it. The tri-tip is like a family favorite. Everybody always wants my husband to make that. It's delicious. I wouldn't want it on Thanksgiving. Why don't you have all three? That's a lot of food. That's a waste. It is a waste. It is not a waste. You can always have leftovers. You know how Sky is. Yeah, if we had more people coming, definitely, but Honey Baked. Well, can you guys just get out of my beeswax? Oh, man, do your beeswax. Get out of it. Maybe you could invite Cindy. That's what you do to Cindy. You say, hey, listen. You say, Cindy, I don't know what your plans are for Thanksgiving, but if you'd like to dine with a celeb. Pick up a Honey Baked on your way over. Shut up. Pay for it. Shut up.
And we'll make it. Like it's not awkward enough already. Just let me send her flowers and be right with it. How about we make a deal? What? You get your honey baked for Thanksgiving and your hubby makes the tri-tip for Christmas. No. Why not? Why not? Well, he can make it. Why not? He can make it for Christmas, but we have to have honey baked. Save that one. Hey, jerk ass. Nice. Can we move on to something important, something relevant, something people care about? I'm not a fish on your hook. Stop it. That was pretty awesome. Sean, how soon can we have that drop? Let's pat ourselves on the back. You have to have a honey bake for Christmas? Yes. Why? So that would not be a discussion. That will not turn into a debate. Oh, there's... Yeah. Well, I can't even... I can't. I don't want to have this discussion right now about Christmas. Is there more? What? Oh, no. Oh, no. What? Well... I wish P1s could be in this room right now to see... I know it. What? You could just tell that there's stuff going on. We just found the treasure. Something's going on. We just found the treasure. Yeah. It's like Raiders of the Lost Ark and we just opened up the tomb. Tears are coming. All we got to do is dig. Sky, what? What's going on? Something bad's happening. Oh.
Well, we rotate holidays every year because my husband's parents are up in the Bay Area. So this year, we're doing Thanksgiving here. So they're getting us for Christmas time. But in the past, the way we do it is we'll go up the day after Christmas, we'll stay until New Year's, and then we'll come back. So we get to do Christmas morning in our home. And then, you know, we go, well, my husband really wants to do Christmas morning at his parents' house. which means I have no control over what's being served for Christmas. And I bet they do Mexican stuff. Which leads me to wonder, how am I going to work a honey-baked ham into what my mother-in-law already has planned? Hey, if there are traditional Mexicans, my dad for Christmas likes tamales. They do tamales every year. Delicious. Homemade tamales. Can you imagine Skye with tamales instead of honey baked? So now that you've agreed to have the turkey and the tri-tip for Thanksgiving, you may not get a honey baked ham at all this holiday season. Right. Is it rude if I bring one over as a gift? Of course. Why? Because you don't know what she's serving. You don't just bring over an entree. Then she's obligated to use it. Yeah, that's rude.
But I would accept that as a gift. You need to ask. Well, of course, you would accept a honey-baked ham. I think that's a wonderful gift. But now you're imposing your will. Yeah, you have to ask, you know, can I bring something? And I doubt she's going to say a ham. Keep it in the car. Just make little trips outside. Like for your cocaine, you know? In the bathroom under the sink. Yes, exactly. You know, you sneak it into the bathroom. A little bump of ham. Yeah. I'll be right back. I need a little toot. No. Darling, what are you doing in there? So there needs to be... Just a struggle. I'll be right out. There needs to be further discussions with the boo regarding what the holiday sitch is. So you're going to not... go to your husband's family's house because of a ham? I didn't say that. Because of a ham? I did not say that. I know what's going to happen. I didn't say that. I did not say that. I have a theory. I have a theory. I have a theory. It's out of control. I have a theory of what she was going to do. Holy cow. I believe that what you will do is you will somehow get the boo to do your handiwork. That's it. Oh, that's terrible. She will get the boo to take care of it. She's the golden.
boy his mom can't say no to him you're the ham that stole christmas what the subject is sky's vaughn's incident oh no leave me alone you're on fire today i want to go home says mikey i have an idea for a gift sky can give to cindy the lady who paid for her groceries what do we got a goat but see i don't know if she would appreciate something like that. I don't know her, so I don't know if she would get that. Oh, my God. But that's always a great gift. Put it on the board. It's charitable. How could she not get it? Yeah, that's always a great gift. Sky, for her mother one year... And my grandmother. And her grandmother. It was Mother's Day. Mother's Day. She sent goats to Africa. And then... Under their name. Wow. Help a whole village. Yeah, right now a whole village is sucking from the teat of the goat that Sky bought. I'm sure making two goats. Cheeses and whatnot. Yeah, to goat cheese. Making baby goats to make more milk and more. By itself? Well, I'm sure they got one there already. I sent two. I don't know if there's a boy or a girl. How much are goats to send? Well, there's a whole variety of things you can send. Different prices. I think anywhere like the cheapest thing. You can send the goat.
With like roasted chestnuts. You can send a goat with like a free CD. A goat with a do-it-self cutting kit? No, like they have like chicks. A goat with a subscription to SI. You can send baby chicks or you can send goats or rabbits. There's a bunch of stuff. Wow. But it's great. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, I have a legitimate question for Skye. No, please. No, thank you. It's a legitimate question, Skye. No, I pass. I pass. But it's legitimate. Thank you, but no. Go ahead. Oh, really? It's a good question. What is it? So, is new Ramsey going to be able to put at the adult table? That's a great question. Yes. You mean my white manservant, Ramsey? Shut up. Yeah. You know. Yes. He's not legitimate. Ramsey. Oh, please, Miss Skye. Yes. I love burgundy tri-tips. You do? You like the Burgundy Tractor? Oh, yes. When have you ever had it? Well. Have you been rummaging through the rummage? The rubbage? What? Rummaging through the rubbage. Huh? The what? It smells so good. Please let me have it, not out of the garbage cans. No, Ramsey. Please. I said no. Stop begging. Oh. Okay. Great. I think this has gone on long enough. I think we should move along. Maybe another subject. You're such a greedy, greedy little white man.
The helicopter ride in the conch 2. Okay. Never been in a helicopter. Ramsey, get the blades going. I'll fire it up. I'll fire it up. And move quickly. Did that hurt? Yes. Move quicker. Move-ins. Move quicker. Hey. Knock it off. Ramsey, get those little loafers moving. Oh. Now, this year, you're going to sit at the kids' table. Oh, no, man. I'm a grown man. It's a step up for you. Usually, you eat outdoors in a dog bowl. So, this year... Oh, my gosh. Just stop it. You humiliate me. Stop it. I what? You humiliate me. No, I don't. I humiliate you. That's what I said. You didn't, you Ad. You humiliate me. You're so stupid. No, Miss God. Please.
I don't sound like that. Ramsey, what is plural and what is singular? Explain for the class. What is plural and what is singular? It's singular. It's singular. It's a wireless company. Not anymore. It's not become the new AT&T. AT&T's. AT&T's. AT&T's. Can you hear me now? That's the horizon, you idiot. Besides that, we sponsor cricket here. We should mention nothing but cricket. You said it. Now tell me what plural means. Plurals? Yeah, no. You're so stupid, Ramsey. I said plural. Did you hear an S on the end of that? Plurals is what oysters make. You idiot.
Please. What oysters mean? Hey, speaking of oysters. Shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. Miss Ashley. Shut up. Mikey, Mikey. You are listening to the Mark 105.3. You can't smell it on my breath. It doesn't make me stumble around or pass out. But it gives me a tremendous buzz. I'm talking about gambling. I loved the action and I thought I could win it all back. This ride is staying pretty tough out here. Might want to give yourself some extra time. It's still a struggle down the coastline on Southbound 5 from Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad.
Solid down past the racetrack in Del Mar. South 15 suffering as well up to 78 through West Candido. Overlay Cogs is off and on through Poway. Finally, when you get past Mercy Road, you're picking up some decent speed there. Even the westbound 52 this morning, for some reason, it's just quite heavy at a Santee heading up the hill. It doesn't let you go past Santo. It stays slow all the way to the 15. And then you've got some busy traffic approaching the 805, and that stays slow through Rose Canyon all the way to the 5 freeway. Coming up out of the South Bay, still plenty of stuff on both the 5 and 805 northbound. 805 faring a little bit better here, the minor delay near Imperial Avenue. Quite tough, though, out of Mission Valley all the way to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5 suffers, though, from the 15 into the S-curve, then again past the airport, through Old Town, all the way to Mission Bay. I'm McLaurin's on Rock 105.3. Back to the Mikey Show, featuring Mikey. I put things off. I do like to put things off until the last minute. Eddie. I keep a log of my insult. Okay. I don't often drink milk, but when I do, I have to salt. Boston Rob. I got ideas, man. They're worth money. And Ashley. I don't know anything about that. Save that clip. Save that clip. You will save that clip. I will not. It's 837.
Well, this is kind of weird. Britney Spears has teamed up with a paparazzi website to raise money for UNICEF. The Colts' Dwight Freeney hurt his foot against the Chargers, so the Colts claim Simeon Rice off waivers. A couple of things. One is, well, first of all, P1 Birdman. Are you there, Birdman? Yes, sir. What's up? No, everybody's trying to figure out what sky she gets Cindy. It really doesn't matter because we all know it's the thought that counts. That is true. Bingo. That is correct. That is true, but I still feel better if I got her a little something. It's the thought that counts. You're a white manservant. Oh, that's a good idea. We just did this last break, can you not? I'll have to fly to the Hamptons where I bought Ramsey. Yeah, that's where he came from, the Hamptons. I bought Ramsey in the Hamptons. North Hamptons. Wonderful little place. Yeah, I'm sure. I was going to get him in the vineyard, but I couldn't get over there that weekend. They were fogged in.
And after the tragedy with the Kennedy boy, you just know... Oh, my gosh. There are times where you can't make the trip. You can only get over on single engine. And unless you're piloting yourself, which I do at times, but I... I said to the old Ramsey, the one that we can't talk about anymore because of Imus, I said, I don't think that we can pilot our way over to the Vindia today. I think we're a little socked in. P1 Leonidas is on the phone. Oh, yes. Yes, good morning, ladies and gents. Yes, Leonidas. Oh, I think I'm going to watch it today. Oh, you should. I'm going to watch it today. You say that every time we play that play. Oh, I think I'm going to watch it today. You know, slaughtering all your men this morning left a cramp in my leg. I find it hard to kneel. Hey, I got a legitimate question for Sky. Go ahead. Nice. Okay, since she's known for regifting, does she have any ideas to bring to the in-laws this year? God, you do a lot of bad stuff.
It's not bad. Alternative. We do a lot of alternative things. And I do have something in the gift closet for, in the price closet for... Re-gift closet? But this one's not really a re-gift. Who gave it to you? Well, it's a promotional item. You did, Michael. Are you kidding? Which he will love. You're giving it to who? Your father-in-law? Yeah. Are you kidding? What are you giving? Something you got for free? Yeah. You can't do it on principle. What are you giving him? It is that little Stan Lee action figure that you can put the Spider-Man costume on him. It takes brass balls. Why? That's better than anything I could have ever bought. He will love it so much more than anything. It was free. So? Why does that matter? I don't know. It's so cheese ball. Why? Would it make you feel better if I went out to the store and bought the exact same thing? Yeah. Because that is a perfect gift for my father-in-law. And he's being honest. He said yes. So that's already set aside in the closet for him. My goodness. And the other gifts that you chumps got me. Sky, you can tell me. What have you regifted that I've given you? You can be honest. It won't hurt me. I promise. I swear. I can't think of anything. Well, first it was the jackass plant. Yes. Oh, my gosh. I mean, can we talk about that?
something else besides me. It's too good today. I'm also giving my father-in-law a P1 sticker. I love it. I love it. Shut up. That's so not even on the same. You're so dumb. Maybe Best of the Mikey Show Volume 1. Yeah, maybe a little too much for him. Oh, look. It's your business card. I hope you enjoy it. They are fresh off the press. Because my business card and a sticker are the same as an action figure. No, no, no. Keep going. There's more. You'll find Letterhead in the box. Use it as your own. Go ahead. Write prescriptions for him. Anything you need to do. Am I ever going to... Copy of October Road, the new show from ABC. That's weird. Why would I... How did you get this? Thanks for the cereal port t-shirts. Hey, I don't think you should be talking, mister. I don't acknowledge people's birthdays. And you either, Sean. So shut both of your pie holes, okay? At least I give gifts, okay? Does Rob not acknowledge people's birthdays? Well, Rob told me he was poor. And I said, that's fine. I said, dude, you could even make me a homemade card. It doesn't have to be a gift. I'm not going to make you something homemade, though. And so nothing from him. You made something homemade last night?
Sean didn't even acknowledge, didn't even send a card, nothing. So I don't think either of these jackals have any space to come. You didn't get anything for Skye for her birthday? I mean, make her a card or write her a nice thing? Yeah, no comic strips? No, no, no, hold on. Christmas is when I do the comic strips. Okay. Because I spend like a whole day drawing those. A whole day. A whole day, wow. What? I do. So yeah, you two clowns. Shawnee, oh boy. Shawnee's not very good with the... Oh, yeah. I'm terrible. Well, the thing is, I get the gifts, but I have trouble sending them. I'm really bad at it. That's even worse. I know. She's not that good. So you got a bunch of stuff for us at your house? I do. I have like two houses of stuff. Oh, come on, Sean. For real? No, I swear to God. I have presents for all of you guys at the house right now. What do you have for me? Tell us what you have right now for us. Let's see. For Sky, I have a couple of t-shirts. I think we got some incense. What do the t-shirts look like? They have funny things on them. What's that? What do said t-shirts look like? I don't know. We can call Dina and find out. I'm going to come to Shawnee's defense. I believe him. You do? For real? Yes. Dude, I swear to God, there are gifts for you right now at my house.
Sean's house is an emporium of stuff. That's true. And he's always buying stuff off the internet. But you genuinely believe that he's got items for Eddie, for Sky, for Mike. Yes, I do. For Ashley, for B-Rock. But why wouldn't he on my birthday send I am a... Well, that I can't. That I don't know. I don't... What are the t-shirts? I don't think he cares. What are the t-shirts? I don't blame him. Honestly, I can't think of it, but if we could call Dana, we could find out. Get her on the phone. Ashley's got her number. Ashley's calling her. What about me? What do you have for me? And why do you have stuff for Mike? What is this stuff? Why do I have it, or what is it? What was it for? It's probably for Christmas. Oh, okay. Well, I don't know if you should reveal that. No, no, no. He means last Christmas. No, I sent last Christmas stuff. He was good last year. Oh, that's right. It was the first year I sent stuff. And I had stuff the year prior. I just didn't send it. Yeah, wait. You gave me a really cool gift for Christmas. You gave me that thing I took to Hawaii. It was like mobile power. It's one of the coolest things.
And I got you something else electronic. I don't remember what it was. You know exactly the electronic bug. But we're going to get Dina on and find out what the sky thing was. And Rob. Yeah, I got stuff for Rob. I have stuff for Ashley. I asked Rob to make me a homemade card. Rob's giving me a look right now. All I wanted was a homemade card. No, no, no. No, because I want to get you something. I don't need you to give me something. But I want to get you something. That's what you said for my birthday. Rob just gave me a look. The look was. Hold on. No, I got you that DVD, dude. What DVD? Rob just gave me a look. October Road? And the look was, hey, Mike, do me a favor. Leave it alone, dude. That wasn't my birthday, was it? Yeah, dude. Remember I said, hey, it's going to take me a little while, but I want to get you this? Wasn't that two years ago? No, because that came out this year. No, it didn't. It was two years ago. I have a question. No, it wasn't. Dude, I put money on it. Look up when it came out. Let's not argue about when it was. Honestly. Honestly. I want to. So stay out of my prize closet, you clowns. We got Dina. We got Sean's wife, Dina, on the line. Dina, are you there? Yeah. What did Sean get for Skye for her birthday? Guys, I don't remember what he got, but I have like this whole bag. It's in the pile upstairs. Yeah, I have this whole bag of stuff that, you know, we never sent out. And it's probably mostly my fault because...
I'm the mailer in the family. Well, I wouldn't say that. I mean, I could have, you know, reminded you or done it myself, really. I'm fascinated to know what the T-shirt said. Oh, no, I can't tell you. I can't tell you. Why? Is it not FCC appropriate? No, no, no. It's, you know, it's probably going to be Christmas present. Oh, well, we were talking about my birthday. That was last month. Oh. That's what Sean was saying these t-shirts were for. I know. She's saying now they're going to become Christmas. Well, I think after you're out of a certain window, you can't send it as a birthday present anymore. And that's the trouble I ran into two years ago after, apparently, according to Dina, there's a window that you have in order to send gifts. And if you don't make that window, then you can't send it. I agree with that. What's the window? I think it's... It's about a month, and after a month, it's kind of like, are you kidding me? You're sending me a birthday present now? I love it. Thank you, Dina. I think she's right. Thank you, Dina. We appreciate it. Bye. We'll see what it is at Christmas. I will tell you where I purchased most of the stuff. Where? And that was at Urban Outfitters. That's where I get most of your guys' stuff. Really? They have, like, funny stuff. They have lots of... And Target. Target has really good, like...
Wacky t-shirts. I got Eddie a couple there. Did anyone get to see Zeth getting yelled at by Ashley? Oh, yeah. What was it about? When was that? I don't know, but he got his butt handed to him. Is he grounded? Did she ground him? Yeah, she sent him to his room. What? He was going to go do something for me, and Ashley was telling him to do something as he was walking out, and she snapped and yelled at him. But what did you say, Ash? What did you yell at him? You go, will you get in here? I just said, what are you doing? Oh, that's what it was. What are you doing? And so I said to Seth, I go, you know what you should do? You should go in there and say, why don't you just shut the hell up? And we all were like, whoa! The thought of that. Just the thought of it terrified him. Like you could see in his face genuine fear. If he were to do that, she might kill him. She might actually commit a homicide if he were to do it. That's true. Sean says that they are going to have the original Star Trek. Talk about it. In theaters. In theaters. Movie theaters. Today and tomorrow. And they're going to take the old special effects and add new special effects to them. The original movie? No, the original TV show. Yes. Wait.
They're going to put the original TV show on. They're going to take a couple select episodes of the original television show, Star Trek. They're going to add up-to-date special effects to them and put them in movie theaters today and tomorrow. That's crazy. Yeah, it's really awesome. It all has to do with they're putting all of the original Trek episodes on HD DVD. And in doing so, they realized that, you know, obviously the old effects look really outdated. The exterior shots, the ships flying around, things like that. So they went back and they redid all of those with up-to-date software, still trying to keep it, like, in keeping with, you know, the lighting and the look of the original series. but they used up-to-date computer software to generate all of the special effects. I think I'd like to see it. I would, too. That's cool. Where is it in San Diego? In San Diego, it's at the Mira Mesa 18. It's at the AMC Mission Valley 20. Wow. AMC Fashion Valley 18. And then there's a place in El Cajon. There's one in La Jolla. Just go to StarTrek.com, and everything's there.
But it's going to be tonight and Thursday night, and they're showing The Menagerie Parts 1 and 2. That's the name of the episode? Yes. Duh. The one with Captain Christopher Pike. Nikki Sixx's wife collapsed at their divorce trial. When we come back, I'll tell you what happened. This is The Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts at rock1053.com. Nikki Six's wife, they're going through a divorce, and she collapsed in the divorce court yesterday. Yeah, they actually were in the process of splitting up their assets. No. When best ofs attacks you. There you go. No.
I don't think so. You guys want to hear what Hank Bauer said to Josh Lewin on the play-by-play of the Charger game about LT? Oh, yeah. That's what you guys were talking about yesterday, right? He did that in Miami for years. Second and five at the Charger. 32 right hash. Hand off Tomlinson. Guns it up the middle and gets three yards. And only does that because he's a very strong man right there. You got Keonta Dawson with the tackle. 10-10 to go third quarter. 23-7 San Diego. I happen to see LT naked Thursday. Hank, why? I was shocked at how built this guy is. I didn't realize, you know, he has grown. In six years, he's grown to where he has. You said he's strong. That's why I'm making a point, Josh. I'm looking like I'm peeping around. I'm telling you, the guy is ripped. He's gotten strong. Third down, call it two to go here. Rivers. That reaction is the best, dude. Hank. Hank. Well, this went well. Line of scrimmage on second. Oh, sorry. Yeah, I do. I do. Hank, what? It's almost like embarrassment. Yeah.
Shock. I'll tell you what else I hear there. I also hear, what do you want me to say to that? What am I supposed to do? Exasperation. What do I say now? Did you just say you had a chance to see LT naked on Thursday? I was in the booth when he did that. That sounds so funny to me. I also love Hank sort of like irritated. Yeah, right. I'm trying to make a point here, Josh. Yeah, Josh. I saw the guy naked, okay? I'm not queer. It's not like I'm a homo. I was checking him out. Oh, my God. He's just well hung and ripped. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. That doesn't make you gay. That's the only thing I'm trying to say about him. Talk about sensitive. Oh, my God. Doesn't make me a homosexual. Dude's packing. Sorry. No, he didn't. Josh, if you had seen him, you'd be talking about it. No, he didn't. What is that?
That's the other thing I found yesterday. Is that a white guy saying no? That's Hank. On the same broadcast. No, it isn't. Yes, it is. Holy crap. No, he didn't. No, he didn't. No, he didn't. That's like Michael from The Office. Electric. So hip. Dude, is that not Michael from The Office when he's like, no, he didn't. No, he didn't. Like, sometimes I wonder if Hank knows that he's on the air. I was CLT naked the other day. Hank, we're on the air. Oh. No, he didn't. We gotta save that forever. We have to have honey baked. Together in a scent. Yeah, exactly. We have to have honey baked. I want it to be my ringtone. Shut up. Yes. Do it like if my phone's ringing. No, he didn't. We have to have honey baked. No, no, no.
but keep playing it like it's ringing, like my phone's ringing. No. We have to have Honey Baked. I think so. We have to have Honey Baked. Is my phone ringing? We have to have Honey Baked. Dude, your phone's ringing. We have to have Honey Baked. Oh, let me see. We have to have Honey Baked. Oh, it's Sky's phone. We have to have Honey Baked. Hello? We have to have Honey Baked. Oh, it won't answer. Hello? We have to have Honey Baked. Even the ringtone won't shut up. No, he didn't. Oh, yes, I did. P1 Buckley's on the line. How's it hanging? Oh, he's the best. Oh, Buckley. Buckley's the best at this game. Buckley. I hope I can sing. They had a late night in Hillcrest last night. Oh, no. Buckley is great. He is maybe the best wuss rocker of all time. Hillcrest. He is really good. So good. So are you ready to play a little wuss rock toot box here? Mm-hmm. No. Oh, no. Girl. You know how the game is played. I'll play the clip. When it stops, you start. Here we go. Buckley. Oh, no.
I'm not as gay as I thought I was. I guess not. We don't even have to go through the room. I mean, you just flat out didn't do it, bro. I don't know what happened. Give him another one. Yeah. Wait. Yeah, maybe give him another chance. Give him another chance. All right, Buckley, let's give him another chance. Yes! Yes! Yeah! Yes! Are you ready? All right, here we go. That's what she said. That's what he said. guy to play every week he's so good i know he's so good he's great i i picture that uh me and buckley together we got press passes and we're checking out lt naked in the locker room no you didn't with a sketchbook that's a yes hell yes it is sky yeah buckley i know it's no surprise to you that um you bring joy to a lot of men but um it
It's really nice to see the joy you bring to my friend Eddie here every time you sing. And on that alone, you are such a wonderful gay man. Yes. Not that it matters at this point. You've already won. But, Sean, I'd like your opinion. It's obvious to me. Your favorite color is dudes. Your favorite song is dudes. And your favorite candy is dudes junk. Write that one down, Mike. All right. Well, hanging on the line. It is 908. Phone call to Sean. And P1 Junie is on the line. Hey, what's up, Mikey? Junie. Good luck following that. Not too much. Yeah, you do have. That's pretty tough. You have a tough road to hoe. Yeah. When the clip stops, you start. When the clip stops, you start. Now remember, dude, there's only two things that we can't handle. Say it. And that is you saying, I don't know the words. or you saying you can't hear it. You got to come up with something. If you don't know it, you got to come up with something. You ready? Oh, I'm so ready, dude. Here we go. But now it's only a fantasy because I can't see Hank Bauer naked with LT. Wow.
Eddie. I think that's the lyrics. Yes. I do think those are the lyrics. Oh, he did. Oh, wow. Absolutely genius. I picture you going wine tasting with B-Rob. I mean, so gay. Thumbs up. Thumbs up. Sky. I'm drinking wine with Boston Rob in Martha Vineyard. Sky. Yeah, he reminds me of a good M. Night Shyamalan movie where you're kind of like, where is this going? And then at the end, you're like, damn, I'm so glad I watched this movie. But the gay version. And you're also thinking to yourself, why is there a random Indian guy in this movie? In every scene. Who's a really bad actor. Yeah, why is there a real bad Indian actor in this scene? I don't get it. Sean, what did you think? In rural Pennsylvania. Yeah, dude, I mean, you got front row tickets to Hannah Montana. You're set, bro. Hey, you just won P1 Junie. Hang on the line, okay? Thanks. P1 Chipper. How's it going, man? Good. You win on that name alone. That's right. You're our final contestant. When the clip stops, you start. Don't want to hear that you don't know the song or that you can't hear. Here we go.
I'm a big old Raider fan and the Chargers will be going down. I don't want to be enough. Eddie. Well, the fact that you admitted you're a Raiders fan at this point. Oh, and it was a blast. He could have won. I was going to give it to him. I was going to give him a thumbs up. All Raider fans are queers. Coming up. Eddie said. that he discovered Popeye's chicken and that he will never go back to KFC at this point. Ever. It kind of got me to thinking. Is there anything that you have here in San Diego or just in life in general that you've only recently discovered that you can tell us about? Because Sky has never had Popeye's chicken. Now she wants to check it out. So we're thinking about it. We're like, well, I wonder if there's people that could call and say, yeah, dude, you know what I just found? And it could be anything. It could be...

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. It's been a rough ride here this morning, but things are finally winding down here. This coaster ride on South Bond 5, though, still finding heavy brake lights out of La Costa all the way down to the racetrack in Del Mar. Westbound 52, backed up again, is still from the 805 freeway through Rose Canyon. Pretty much solid at a 5 here. South 15 got pretty rough for a time, though. That's breaking up quite considerably, though, so just a minor delay left over at Karma Mountain Ranch. West 8 is sort of pretty much good to go, except you will find some brake lights still left over. from Hotel Circle to the 5 Freeway, and that's because this northbound 5 is still finding a busy ride out of Old Town into Mission Bay. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios, Mikey Morning Show, VOC San Diego. You may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. Sky was just telling us how she was at the grocery store and realized that she didn't have, what, your wallet or your cash? My wallet. And asked a stranger if she could borrow money and got her name and number. And I kind of got a vibe from this lady that she knew who I was. Okay, that's a new one. I could have been off, but I kind of got that vibe. Oh, you are brutal, dude. Like, knew who you were from the radio? Yeah. Yes, absolutely.
Hello. You can relate, right? You're a celebrity, too. Yeah, well, not as big as me. I'm not saying I'm a celebrity. I'm not saying that. Usually, I make reservations at Vons. Shut up. This particular day, I didn't. But I thought, oh, someone's bound to recognize me. I have my personal shopper usually going. This day, I really wanted my chips ahoy, so I had to go myself. The Mikey Show continues. I'm on the rock. It's been a while. It's been a happy lady. All this day. Welcome back. It's 9-19. Three protesters were arrested at the Calexco border after setting up a cross-border kissing booth. The Yankees re-signed their catcher, Jorge Posada, to a new four-year contract. Sky, you still haven't tried the Popeye's chicken since Eddie said he tried it, right? No. Oh, dude. It's something new Eddie discovered that he just had never tried. And you have to get it spicy.
They give you an option of regular or spicy, and you have to get it spicy. It is so much better than KFC. Well, first of all, every time I eat KFC, I'm disgusted, and I don't like it. It gives you a headache. It gives me a headache, and the chicken is dry, and it's been sitting there probably forever, whatever. This chicken was moist. It had so much flavor, and it was spicy and delicious. I loved it. They're good, man. Popeye's is good. Yeah. And I don't know why I never went there before, but one day it was actually Lou Bush who was like, he ordered it for us. And I'm like, dude, that is life-changing. I will never get Popeye, or I'll never get KFC again. Sean, what have you discovered? Well, this wasn't recent, but it was a few years ago. And I'm surprised I haven't mentioned it before because I like it so much now. I had never tried eggnog before. Oh, my goodness. I just did last night. You've never had eggnog before? No, no, no. Maybe like when I was a kid, but I was at Stater Brothers, and I just bought it this last weekend and just had it last night. Wow. Never had it, Sky? Never had it. Go ahead, Sean. It is so delicious. The reason why I never tried it was because the word eggnog, it just sounds really gross, like scrambled eggs. Yeah. It's delicious.
I finally tried it. Dina made me try it, and I absolutely loved it and loved it to the point where I will actually make it at times during the summer if I have like a day where I can do it so that I can have some because I love it so much. Listen to this. My wife is disgusted by eggs. She won't eat things that have eggs in them, and she thinks that eggs are filthy. I know my wife as well as my wife knows my wife. And I know with 100% certainty, she would love eggnog. She would love it. But she would never, ever try it because it's called eggnog. I'm going to give you another life-changing tip. Warm it up. Oh, Eddie. Oh, I don't know that I could do that one. Okay. Really? Okay. You'll see. I will try that. Sean, I guarantee you. Do you put it in a saucepan or something? You can do that or just pour it in a mug.
And put it in the microwave? Microwave it for, you know, 30 seconds or whatever. Drink eggnog warm. See what happens. You're not going to, like, cook the egg of it? No. Sky, please listen to me with this eggnog. No, thank you. No, don't. Please. What's in it? Is there dairy in it? I don't want it. Please listen. Oh, we can stop. Sky. There's dairy in it. I don't want it. Take a Lactaid. Yeah, no, never. It tastes... Never? I've never once. It tastes sweet. Mm-mm. Why would you not take a latte? You know what? It's like a milkshake. It is. It is. It is a milkshake. Yeah. No, thank you. It tastes like ice cream. Sky, it tastes like... If my body doesn't like it, my body doesn't like it. What does that mean? I'm not going to take a pill so my body can process something that it doesn't want to process. You eat cheese and your body doesn't process that very well? You got her there, Eddie. No. You got her. It's weird. It's weird. My body is cool. My body doesn't like melted cheese. But my body. Oh, look at Eddie. I swear to God. I swear. I swear. I don't blame him. I swear. How irritating is that? It's insane. Dead to rights he got. It's hard to process melted cheese. Just try eggnog. Can we just please bring an eggnog and try it one time? Because it really is cool. How did this turn into things we've just discovered into forcing stuff on Skye? Because it's something you can discover as well.
I don't think she'd like it. Dude, you just blew it. Why would you say that? Why would you say that? I'm being honest. Why? Thank you, Ashley, for being honest. Why? Why not? Because it's creamy. The texture is weird. The taste is kind of weird. She likes milkshakes. It does not taste like a milkshake. It does. Absolutely does. I disagree. You know what it tastes like? It tastes like ice cream. No, thank you. It does not taste like ice cream. It does. It's really not that good, Skye. I wouldn't try it if I were you. She doesn't like it. Thank you. That's why she's saying this. Thank you for your honesty. No, but you guys are trying to make it sound like it's really good. It is. It is really good. Skye's going to be pissed when she takes a sip and she's like, what the hell is this? She won't. Yes, I will. All right. Then try it, Skye. Well, no. No, I appreciate your support, Ashley. I'd rather not try it. Ashley, you're the worst. I'd rather not try it. It's so good. I'm just being honest. Because you don't like it. I didn't say that I don't like it. P1 Alma. No, I didn't. Hi. Yes, you did. You're the worst. Go ahead, Alma. I just, I mean, first of all, Skye, I mean, I thought it was really gross too, but I work at Starbucks and I tried it and it does, I'll admit, have a weird flavor, but that's what makes it so good. And I just wanted to let you know that.
At Starbucks, they actually have the eggnog latte if you guys want to try that. Sounds good. Thank you. Thank you. P1 Spoons. Hi. I just wanted to say something to Skye because she was talking about the dairy part of it. Uh-huh. Spoons. And I get the silk soy nog. Oh, gross. Come on. That's not eggnog. We do get the silk. Like, that's what we use in our house. It's not eggnog. Try that. But I don't know. That'd be better. Silk nog. Mmm. It's really good. I look forward to it every year. Oh, spoons. All right, call us if you've just discovered something. Like, what is new that you've just discovered? I kind of discovered, but it's been like a year now. But, uh, coffee mate. Bread. Making love. Paying for lunch. No, she didn't discover that. Oh, wait. No, you're right. Doing stuff on my own. What does that even mean? The non-dairy Coffee Mate French Vanilla Creamer. You never had it? I never used cream prior to that. Skye, you just discovered direct deposit. That's not like, you know what I mean? And bee poop. I didn't know bees pooped. I just discovered that as well.
But now this coffee mate, I will not have coffee without this coffee mate now. Who told you that bees poop? Dude, they poop like crazy. Out of control. Interesting show today. Very interesting. Who knew that they'd find that out? You park your car. I had to go out and buy a bunch of little bee diapers. Because it was just everywhere. Well, you know, in my spare time, I'm a beekeeper. Yes. And so I had to put the little diapers on all the little crap heads. No, I started parking my car in an area where there's, like, bee boxes. Are you crazy? Do you listen to yourself? Ask P1 Detail. I brought my car to P1 Detail, and he was like, is this a joke? Because it was tattered in bees. It's so bad. It's so bad I accidentally called him Bunny Bee on Mistakey. know that it was bee poop? Because I have asked many people. Many? Many? Many meaning her friend. Probably I've talked to about five people about it and I've googled it.
I will show you. Michelle was drunk on red wine and told her that. No, Michelle is scared of bees. That's bee poop, man. No, Michelle would know nothing about that. She's scared of bees. You park next to a bee box. It's got to be bee poop. What the hell? Shut up. You leave us alone. You're getting overflow from the bee box. So we enjoy a cocktail at lunch every now and then. Every now and then. Leave us alone. Leave us alone. What's the matter with you? Leave us alone. It was not Michelle. She had nothing. A bunch of bee poopers. I'll show you, dude. A bunch of lactose intolerant bees. They're full of asses. If you live near bee boxes, you know what I'm talking about. Yeah, let's bee box. We have another Chardonnay. Shut up. I have those human bee boxes. They're always on people's cars. Oh, my God. That's so funny. Fine. Don't come to me when you need help because the car is covered in bee poop. You got it. You guys are going to feel dumb once you start getting the emails. Another Irish car bomb, please. Michelle, it's only 10 a.m. You have no right to mock her. He's the best. Gray goose is some bee diapers.
I wish they made feed diapers. Things are crazy, man. I'm a bee kid now. CML's subject is eggnog. It says drink it warm with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top. Very good. You can also put a little rum in it. Yeah, a little hot toddy. A little hot toddy. Yeah, put some rum in it. Leave out the eggnog. It's a little rum, but leave the eggnog out. I'm an eggnog with rum. Hold the eggnog. Instead of the eggnog, can I have a shot of rum? You guys are so off base. Me and my girlfriend like to have some wine together and talk about the bee poop. Shane, what did you just discover? I just discovered putting bacon on grilled cheese.
Wow, heart attack waiting to happen. Yeah, no kidding. Yeah, but it's so good. I bet it is. Bacon on anything, right? Seriously. P1 Green Man, what did you just discover? I'll tell you, this kind of sounded weird at first, but I got hooked on this off of a really good friend of mine turned me on to it. What is it? Well, with the holidays coming up, I don't know if you guys have ever heard of this, but they have oyster stuffing. What is that? Oyster stuffing. Who would eat that? Wait a second, who would have the... That's good. Oyster stocking. Oh, oyster. I'm not an oyster. The stuffing is good. You're an oyster. Ashley is an oyster. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I am an oyster. You keep saying it, oyster, but you know the real deal. Be one rude dog is on the line. Hey, how's it going? What's up, man? Hey, you know, I recently discovered that I actually like food on a bone. Of course, it's more juicy that way. Yuck. That just sounds so weird. No. Yeah. Sky, you don't like anything on the bone, right? Mm-mm. You don't eat ribs? No. I haven't even put on a bone since before. I was like seven years old. And just a couple of months ago, I've tried wings, chicken wings. And I discovered I love them. Hot wings? I love like buffalo, but I won't get them unless they serve them boneless. My wife saw me bite into a buffalo wing. And it happens sometimes where you get that little vein thing. Oh, shut your dirty mouth. Shut your mouth.
I'm telling you, I thought she was going to die. It's flavor. That's so gross. So delicious. Well, it's great because when you bite into it, you hear it pop. Hey, guy. Have you ever seen Mikey eat stuff off a bone? Yes, unfortunately. It's the best. Got it from my dad. It's like a lion. It eats the marrow. It's awesome. I mean, you got to clean that sucker. It's a little dainty hand. It should. What's that for? I thought we were already seeing. Nice. Nice. Nice. I loved it. Always got to bring it to another level, though. I just want to thank Mikey this morning for staying on the air. You know, it's my one day off during the week, and you guys totally rock. Dude, I appreciate that, man. When I gambled and lost, I kept gambling. I loved the action, and I thought I could win it all back. Nobody could tell I had a problem. For a while, it was easy to hide. In the end, I lost more than money. I lost myself. I lied. I lost my job. I hurt everyone who cared about me. If the funds become something that's hurting you or your family, get help. You mean before we got in line. Exactly.
Can't you just taste that fresh cracked egg? Oh, yeah, and the smoky Canadian bacon. Melted cheese. Those were good times. By the time we get through this line, breakfast will be over. Well, three words, my friend. Angus third pounders. Those are thick, juicy burgers. The big, beefy taste of Angus. I could so go for an Angus mushroom in Swiss right now. Oh, give me the sizzling bacon of that Angus bacon and cheese. It's an Angus deluxe day. Thick, juicy tomatoes, red onions. Oh, my mouth is so watering right now. Let's ditch this line and go to Mickey D's. I have to register my car, dude. Can't you go pick it up? In a car that's not registered? We drove here not registered. Okay, that's a good point. A couple of lift over slow spots though in the south on the side of the 5. You're going to find a busier ride still out of La Costa down toward... Actually, past the racetrack in Del Mar. South 15, a brief delay through, yeah, right around the construction zone of Rancho. You're pretty much on your way past that. No worries at all of the east county of the South Bay. The westbound 52, though, is still seeing some brake lights coming off the 805 freeway through Rose Canyon up to the 5 freeway. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. All right, I'm going all in. Let's play some poker. All right. At Harrah's Ring Con, they got the big SoCal Pre-Circuit Showdown Texas Hold'em Tournament coming up.
It's November 26th through the 29th. I personally will be there on the 27th. What day of the week is that? That's a Tuesday. Okay. And I'm playing. I'm playing in the tournament. I want to play. Hook it up. Bring it on. Only $80 gets you a buy-in to play for your share of $45,000, plus a chance to win a seat in the World Series of Poker circuit event at Harrah's in February, which to me is the bigger prize. Yeah. I would love that. That'd be huge. That's my dream come true. So good luck trying to beat me. There is going to be a bounty on my head, which sucks. And if you knock me out, you're going to get a great prize. And it's cool. And another really cool thing is that Hera's just announced. to help some of the folks in their area, because a lot of people were affected by the fires, including 35 of their own employees. Yeah, the Piraca fires. Yeah, they're going to donate $10 of your buy-in to a special fire victims fund. So if we have a ton of people playing in a tournament, then they're going to help donate to some of these fire victims, which to me is very cool. So go ahead, check it out. For registration and general information, go to rock1053.com or stop by Harrah's and visit the Total Rewards Center for all your fire victims.
All the details about the fifth annual SoCal Pre-Circuit Showdown Texas Hold'em Tournament. Open your mouth, we're mentally going south. It's Radio Rubio's. Ahoy! It's Radio Rubio's. The Mikey Show continues.

Milk lemonade. That's not coming. Sing along. Okay. Go ahead. Producers for the Tonight Show are considering bringing in guest hosts next week since Jay Leno won't cross the writers' picket lines. Heads up, fantasy football fans. Adrian Peterson has a torn knee ligament. It's not going to require surgery, but he's going to miss at least two weeks. Mikey just discovered PB&J made with French toast. Saw it on a Food Network show. It's the greatest thing I've ever had. That's weird. That is weird. It's probably good, though.
Kind of like a Monte Cristo, but PB&J. But not. But not, yeah. What's a Monte Cristo? You've never had a Monte Cristo? What is it? It's a French-style sandwich that has like... It's French toast, right? Bread. I wouldn't say it's French toast. It's kind of like it. It's kind of like French toast. Yeah, very similar. But it's with like ham and cheese and I think like turkey, too. And then they like melt it. Yeah. Kind of fry it, deep fry it. And then they put powdered sugar on it. And some places put like jam on it too. Usually it's on the side. On this jam on the side. Look at you guys. Powdered sugar. I didn't know about it. It's different. Well, Mike just discovered a Monte Cristo. There you go. I'll try one. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll try it. Let's see. Tonight Show's thinking about bringing guest hosts in next week because Leno won't cross the picket line. Dude, that's pretty crazy. Who's going to write like the stuff? Yeah. Maybe if they get a comedian, the comedian will have their own material. Well, and who would cross the picket line? Because that's kind of, I mean, you're going to make a lot of enemies. Like if you're a comedian? In the writing community. Okay, let me give you a name. Okay. What if you're David Spade? Like you're going to make people mad? He works on a sitcom. Yeah. And so he would make a lot of people mad. Carlos Mencia. He works on a show on Comedy Central.
Jay Moore. Yep. He works on The Ghost Whisperer. Who cares? Well, he's a recurring character. I care. What about Jerry Seinfeld? See, I don't think he would do that. I think anybody who has writing experience, like who has written in the past. Or friends with people. Yeah, they won't. They won't cross the picket line. He may even be a member of the guild, the writer's guild. That's true. Mike Myers. Random. Is he still alive? Yeah. Well, he's not in any TV shows. See, but I mean, you're going to piss people off for the future. You may not be doing something right now. All right. Let me give you somebody that it doesn't matter even if you do for the future. Who? Because they don't have anything going on. They're not going to. Who? Dana Carvey. You don't know. What is he going to do? What happened to Dana Carvey? What happened to Dana Carvey? This time it's personal. What is he going to do? It'll probably be somebody like that. Don't you think?
It could be. Tom Cruise is upset because his movie that Ashley saw, Lions for Lambs, is a big flop. Came in fourth at the box office. So he's kind of bummed out. Yeah, it only made $6.5 million. And this was the first movie he made with his new big deal with United Artists. So they really wanted this one to be a home run right out of the gate. Not so much. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, I was wondering if you guys would cover the whole thing about Lost or the whole 24, how it got canceled for next season. Does 24 get canceled? Not officially, no. It's not canceled. Everything's on hold. Yeah, and then there's going to be a certain time period, like I think in the beginning of the new year, where they're going to have to make a decision, but that's still a couple months away because once they get close to starting to air, they can't bust out all the episodes that quick.
What I read about 24 was that they made five episodes and then they're going to go ahead and not air them at all until they make all of them because they made it dedicated to the fan that they were never going to skip a week. Right. So yeah, and then Lost has just only made five and they're going to air those five and then they're going to separate them like week by week. So it's going to be like every two weeks there's going to be an episode as opposed to every week. So you really knew the whole time. Well, no, that's what I just read in the paper. I was wondering if you confirmed me. You are the news girl. Thank you. Don't be mess with me, freelance. You'll throw down? You ready to throw down? This P1 who wants to remain anonymous said that they just discovered bathhouses. That would be wonderful. Sky has new releases that are coming out today. Sky, what are the new releases that we can look forward to today? New video games out today. We have WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. That's for Xbox 360, PS2, the Wii, PS3, and the PSP. Black Sight Area 51 out today for the Xbox 360.
Dude, have you seen commercials for that new game, Assassin's Creed? Yeah. I cannot wait to get that thing. It looks really realistic. The graphics are sick. Dude, it looks so incredible. That is out today for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. No, it's okay. No big deal. It's out for PS3 and? Xbox 360 today, yes. I could already tell I can't play it. I think it'll make me dizzy. It will. It will. Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii out today. Wii! Uncharted Drake's Fortune for the PS3. Need for Speed Pro Street for... I love Need for Speed. Don't want Pro Street. Why? It doesn't look as... It looks professional. It looks like they've set aside a professional course for guys to race through. And the fun of Need for Speed is that you are breaking the law. Okay. And that's for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and the Wii. Kanan Lynch, Dead Men, out today for Xbox 360, PS3. Resident Evil, Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii. How many times? Ella. Ella.
Alien vs. Predator Requiem out today for PSP. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for Wii and PSP. Soldier of Fortune Payback for Xbox 360. And then normally we don't mention video games out for PCs, but today there is a video game that's being released for your PC that was developed locally here by a lot of P1s work on the development team. So out today for your PC. Done by P1s is EverQuest 2 Rise of Canark out today. Canark? Canark. What is Canark? Send us a copy. Yeah. They had a Canark in my high school when you're an Asian kid. No one suspected him. Blunder used to be a Canark. Yeah, Blunder was a Canark at his college dormitory. Blunder. Budweiser? Yeah. Guy used to turn people in. What a jerk. Like, he was, like, undercover. Nobody knew. What? At his dorm. And he used to turn people in for, like, drinking and stuff like that. And not only that, he really enjoyed busting people. Oh, no, no, no. He says absolutely it took delight in getting people in trouble. Wait, would he befriend them and then turn them in? Or was he, like, spying on them? Yes.
No, he was the RA, the resident advisor for the floor. So it was his job to be their friend and to be their advisor and to be there for them. But if he saw them freaky or smoking... That's garbage. See? That's what he did. I did a lot of that when I was in college. It's garbage! On the other end. Okay. The drinking, the smoking. Gotcha. Okay. Tough love it is. Tough love. All right. New CDs out today. We have Led Zeppelin with Mothership. That's a two-disc CD. All the songs are totally remastered. What does that mean? Well, because you know how on the Zeppelin stuff, you hear the oldness. I know nothing about remastering. Well said. You know what I mean? I do not. Like, you can listen to it, and you can tell how dated it is by the sound quality. So they turned down the oldness. Yes, and they upped the newness. Wait a second. That's fascinating. I want to pull up a Led Zeppelin song, and I want you to tell me what you mean. Because I'm not joking around. I don't know what she means. You don't know what I mean? I do not. You know the old-a-city. Thank you, Sean. Sean gets it. Yeah, doesn't it just kind of sound like dirty and thick and... Oh, boy.
Is that what I'm talking about? Well, I guess what I would have to do is I'd have to hear the new stuff next to this. Yeah, you'd have to hear them side by side. But yeah, but it's, you know, all remastered. It's 24 songs, two discs. So that's out today. It's got dust on it. Yeah, it's a little dusty. Cobweb. I don't know. I may like it better this day. I wonder if there's any Zeppelin tribute bands in San Diego. Yeah, I'm sure they're everywhere. My guess is that when he recorded this, he was not wearing deodorant. That's a guess. It's an educated guess. It's an educated guess that Robert Plant was not wearing deodorant. Smells like durian. Yeah, I bet they smelled like patchouli oil and curry. And shark. Yes. There's a few people that know what that means.
Thank you. Put it on the board. Also out today, the new Alicia Keys, As I Am. Dude, I love that song. Ah, this one. Now this sounds like it needs to be remastered. I hear the scratching of the record. I think that's intentional. Yeah, they better remaster this thing. So this whole album comes out today? I'll buy that. Yep, it's called As I Am. Alicia Keys. A new one from Celine Dion out today. Taking chances. We got a clip of Celine Dion. Celine Dion. Celine. She was on, I think, Okra. Okra Winfrey's television show. Cut 37. You know, focus on things. You know, maturity, gravity. Yeah. Forget about it. No way. Oh, jeez. Maturity, stability, strength.
Strength, focus, exactly know what we want. What it says is that before singing was my life, my vocal cords used to lead the way. Now, I'm in charge. Wow. I love that. Good. I want to tell you, I've become black. You go, girl. Yes. You go, girl. That's right. Yes. Wait a second. Give it up. That is not Oprah. That is not Oprah. Come on. That's a weird Oprah impression. I love you, Jillian. What in the world? P1 Josh? Josh wants to explain the old sound that Skye's talking about. Go ahead. Basically back in the older days when, you know, Sky and them, we did listen to Let It Up, and when they recorded in the studio, they recorded on tape, more like a film, how they recorded film back in the old days. And so you hear that tape running over the bar, like in a record or in the 8-track. As of now, when they remaster it, what they do is they run it through a soundboard, a digital soundboard, and it clarifies everything.
And then when they put it on the CD, you don't hear none of the tape running over the bar. That took about 30% of the sound quality away. I really want to hear it now. I want to get them side by side. Maybe tomorrow we'll have a copy of one of the new remastered songs. Well, I know on Amazon.com they have little clips. Yeah. So I don't know. I'll download one today. Okay, that'd be awesome. They just released the entire Zeppelin catalog to iTunes. The whole thing. And P1 Liz knows of a Zeppelin tribute band out here. Led Zeppigan. Led Zeppigan? Yeah. Where do they play at? I've seen them play at the House of Blues. I don't know where else they would play, but they play at the House of Blues for sure a couple times. That's cool. Led Zeppigan. Yeah, it's cool. Thank you. Yeah, no problem. Eddie, did you see the new Man vs. Wild? Oh, yeah. Let's talk about that in a second. What else is out today? All right. Hold on to your hats, boys. We have a new Boyz II Men album out today. That can't be true. What? Come on. Covering Motown songs. It's called Motown, A Journey Through Hitsville, USA. Really? Boyz II Men. Christmas present. Like what? Like what? Like what songs? Just My Imagination. Oh, that's going to be so good. It's the same old song, Reach Out, I'll Be There, Mercy, Mercy Me, The Tracks of My Tears, Money, That's What I Want, Easy,
I Was Made to Love Her, All This Love, Ribbon in the Sky, Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing, Gotta Be There, War, and End of the Road. Oh, seconds please. Yeah, out today. Wait a minute, let's do this one instead. Oh, that's what I'm talking about. Mossy Nissan presents Tales of the Titan. Sky, and I want to talk to you about your Southern California Chevy dealers. If you're thinking about fuel economy, and hopefully you are, well, your Southern California Chevy dealers have a great selection of fuel-efficient cars for you to choose from. Okay, a couple things. Man vs. Wild, I wanted to talk to you about that. You're not done with the releases? How far are we? We're halfway through the CDs. Okay, let's do it. Okay, let's see. CDs take cover by Queensryche. It's some cover songs. Queensryche is great. Queensryche. Queensryche. They're good, too. Cover songs by them. They're both good. Now 26. out today. Those are always, like, number one selling albums. Of course, it has, like, Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy. It could be, you know, either. Beautiful Girls. Are both on there, Skye? Big Girls Don't Cry. It's a military band called Soldier Boy. Rockstar. Right, but what about Soldier Boy? Is he on there, too? So that has all the big hits on it. It's called Now 26. We have Greatest Hits Volume 1 by the Goo Goo Dolls. Black and White Album by the Hives. Sawdust by the Killers. And then a comedy album. We have Dane Cook, Rough Around the Edges, live from Madison Square Garden. That's actually Dan Cook. So that's out today. New movies out today. We have Oceans 13 out today. I think we have a clip of it. Cut 40. I want you to steal the diamonds. How many times?
Can't be done. We don't have the manpower. We get caught. We go away for life. We're not going to risk that so you can get his diamonds. Enough from me. I just want him to lose what matters most to him. You do what you want with him. But either you steal the diamonds or you find somebody else to finance your drill. You've done it already twice. Of course it'll work. What do you mean it'll never work? Of course it's worked twice already. Why wouldn't it work the 13th time? Also out today on DVD, Shrek the Third. Oh boy. Cut 39. If you knew it, but you needed to hear it again, or if you've never heard it and it's the first time you actually have heard, you know, this message has gotten through to you, that you just can't sit around and wait for somebody to do something for you. You can't wait for it to happen for you. You have to go out and make it happen for yourself. I think that's the message that reaches everyone. It's for everyone. It's a cartoon. Give me a break.
That, by the way, is the actress that Ashley believes should play her in the movie version. Holy cow. She's a good ass, really good at playing bubbly yet intelligent. Whoa. When acting. Man. Charlie's Angels. How does that apply? What else, Skye? Today we have the 30th anniversary edition of Close Encounters of the Third Kind out. In fact, I think that's out on HD today, too, right? Oh, nice. Yeah. Well, here it lists the DVD set and also lists the Blu-ray set. Blu-ray? I don't see anything. Well said. It includes the original 1977 theatrical cut, the special edition version released in 1980, the final director's cut from 98, and then interview with Steven Spielberg. Jeez. And then today we have the 20th anniversary edition of The Princess Bride out today. I've never seen it. How dare you? You guys, isn't it too late, though? I think I stopped breathing for a second. Isn't it too late for me? No, no, no. Timeless. No. Are you guys sure? Andre the Giant's in it. Wait a minute. I'm pretty sure. Eddie, you were sure I would love Big Trouble in Little China, and that movie looked dated real bad. Well, you don't get it. That's the problem. Oh, no. Yeah. Am I going to feel it? Andy Patinkin is in it. Thank you. Well, you didn't say that. In the go, Montoya. You killed my father.
Prepare to die. I hear people do, like, references from that movie all the time. Inconceivable. Don't know what it is. Princess Bride. Yes. Big time hit movie with a lot of people. Boo. When she's booing in the dream. Anybody. That sounded great. Can we just, can we get a clip? No, I don't want to. No. We gotta get, we gotta isolate. I don't hate it. Oh, my God. I won't do it. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That clip. That's a great clip. Oh, my God. But that was dead on, right? Dude. Oh, my gosh. That's so funny. Who are you? Okay. And then finally. How quickly can he have that shot? Have fun storming the castle. That's a good one. Recognize that one. Scottie recognized mine.
I'm sorry. I wanted to, but I didn't. Get Sean that clip. I'm sorry. The whole thing, man. Okay, and finally, TV shows to DVD today. We have Melrose Place, the third season. Gilmore Girls, the seventh season. Gilmore Girls, the complete series. Tears are coming out of my eyes. And Sean, we got Perry Mason Season 2, Volume 2. Oh, yes! Enjoy. Oh, I didn't know that was coming out! Yep, there you go. Happy birthday to me. He's really excited. So great. Hey, that priest that was stalking Conan O'Brien has made a statement. I don't know if you guys knew about this, but Conan O'Brien has been stalked by a priest. Sending letters, threatening him. Showing up at his parents' house. Weird stuff. Yeah. Cut 41. I've never had any intention of physically harming him in any way. I never approached his residence or tried to intrude upon his personal space. I feel sad that some of the correspondence I sent was interpreted in that way. I'd like people to know that.
His parents say, his dad says he's a sick guy. He's a little loopy. Let's talk about it. Man vs. Wild. Yes! What is this? Well, the new season came out. Friday. And Eddie and I both watched it. Of course. Sahara. And, well, immediately, here's my observation, Eddie. There's two parts, and the second part looks way better. The one scene where he... He's in the Sahara Desert. Obviously, there's no water out there. So he reaches into the inside of a camel carcass and he pulls out stuff and squeezes it into his mouth for the liquid. It's crazy. It looks insane. It looks great. It was crazy. But there was one thing that I was really bummed out about. Well, when it first happened, I sat up in my seat like, whoa. He's walking out in the Sahara and he comes across this black cobra. Oh, yeah. And it is the scariest looking cobra, man. And he's got his canteen and he's kind of like trying to, you know. Make a strike. Get it to strike, you know. And, you know, and it's freaking me out. My heart's beating faster and everything. And then he goes.
These particular kind of cobra are all over the Saharan desert. This one was brought in for me to demonstrate to you what to do if you were to ever run into one. And I was like, unnecessary. I just don't want to know. Unnecessary. First of all, if you're walking, let's say he was out in the Arizona desert. You know what? There's diamondback rattlesnakes in the Arizona desert. Maybe while you're out there filming, you don't run into one, but bring one in. tell me. It ruins the coolness of the show. But he has to now because everybody will call him out. Now he has to tell me. I want to talk to the guy who made that decision because I'm cool with them running a quick little thing saying sometimes experts help out or whatever in the beginning and then just leave it the way it was. Who's the guy who felt that they needed to go that far?
That's a guy just trying to cover their butt. Cover their butt from what? From people like you. I'll tell you what it is. I'm going to bring down the Discovery Channel? He has a reputation now. I'll explain. What they're trying to do is they're trying to avoid one of the cameramen that worked on that four years from now or a year from now. not working for Discovery Channel anymore and saying, you know what, when we did that, they brought that cobra. And then it gets out there. But if they run the little disclosure in the beginning, then it doesn't matter. We'll put it in the little disclosure. That sometimes animals are brought in to demonstrate. Yeah, sometimes we use experts and animals and stuff like that. Just put a quick little paragraph up there. Eddie, they do say that thing where they go, you know, sometimes situations are presented to bear to demonstrate survival. I just think he's so shell-shocked now. Yeah, I think that was too far. Everything that we do, guys, we got to say, because we don't want this to come out and have us look bad. Did that kind of ruin it a little bit? I wouldn't say it ruined it, but it definitely bummed me out for Bear that he has to do that. Oh, he did? It was very exciting to me when he stumbled upon the Cobra, and I didn't like the thought.
When he said that, I immediately imagined a professional dumping a box of Cobra onto the ground. And I didn't like that. I also don't like how much now he references the crew. He mentions them a lot now to kind of like go, yes, there are people here. Yes, this guy got heat stroke. We flew him out. I just wanted to be bare. He's the best. He mentioned during the making of the Sahara episode that two crew members contracted heat stroke and had to be flown out. But man, him eating that lizard and all this stuff, peeing on his shirt and all that stuff is just so awesome. He got this lizard. That thing looked crazy gross. And I want to show you how big this lizard was. I'm looking around for something. I would say... The lizard was about half the diameter of this tube, which is approximately 12 inches long and 4 inches in diameter. So it was a pretty big lizard. And he's showing you that these lizards live in the Sahara and they burrow underneath the sand and they crawl real fast. He's demonstrating that. I didn't think he was going to eat that thing. No. So he picks it up and he says, and they're also good for if you're hungry out here. And he bites the thing in half. It's wriggling in his fingers.
And it's big. It's juicy. And you can see it bitten in half, and he's chewing it, and you hear him going... How about when he ate the scorpion and the pus came out the side of his mouth? It's a dead-on impression if you knew what Sina was talking about. That's got to be our new gross sound effect. Anything's gross. When she's dreaming that that old haggard lady is booing her when she's like... Marrying that guy. Oh, my God. And he's the scariest. I killed that impression. Oh, my God. Eddie. I love it. So much. No. No. Man, you sold out for that. I got to give you props. That is amazing. You didn't care how embarrassing that was. I never do. She put it out there. Wow. It takes brass balls. That's unbelievable.
She loves the spotlight that much. That's right. Oh, my God. Wow. Did anybody see Dancing with the Stars last night? I did. Did you see when Richard Simmons visited Jenny Garth? Let me tell you something, dude. I got the audio. Me and my wife, while it was going on, blankly stared at each other with our mouths gaping open. This is what the writer's strike has caused? This is what they've come up with now? Well, the weird thing is... It was so bizarre. Apparently, what made it even stranger is, I guess what happens is Richard Simmons visits Jenny Garth during rehearsals to give her some motivation, which apparently she takes seriously. Oh, yeah. You know how... Sky, you've watched the show, right? You know how they bring in different people to help them dance and stuff like that? Inspire them. Well, this time, the whole thing was Jenny didn't really believe in herself. And so they bring in Richard Simmons. Jenny Garth from 90210, by the way. Which I'm like, she's not fat. So why Richard Simmons? I guess now he's just an inspirational character. I guess. It made no sense. Motivational. And he starts telling her how great she is and to believe in herself. She starts bawling.
It was so uncomfortably weird. She on Xanax at the time? You gotta listen to this. It's crazy. Cut one. You're graceful. You're elegant. But you have to work a little bit on your self-worth. Okay. You were worth more than all the pearls in the ocean. Well, you're laughing, but it's true. You're right. I want you not to think of yourself as an actress. I want you to think of yourself as a performer. You have to take that fox You have to breathe life in it. You have to make the people fall in love with every note of that song. You are making every young girl and woman out there who doesn't feel totally accepted, you make her feel accepted and you make her feel feminine and elegant and beautiful. Thank you. I realize that I have everything it takes inside of me. I just have to let it come out through my dancing. You're a showgirl.
So shine. There's only about 50,000 drops in that clip that we can use. The last one's my favorite, by the way. You're a showgirl. Let it shine. Holy cow. She took it serious. The visual is genius. Is he wearing the dolphin shirt? With pom-poms. Oh, this poor girl. much does she not hear that that even like a gay guy with an afro in dolphin shorts a glittery tank top and pom-poms saying that to her makes her you know like she's in she's in it doesn't have to be you know a real handsome young it could be richard simmons saying it and she'll take it oh my you're so teeny i would cry too if that's what they brought for me
Wow, man. Jamie Lee Curtis proudly announced Access Hollywood. Her height and weight. Cut seven. You're comfortable in your own skin now, so you're happy, and it comes through your skin. Right, and I weigh... What do I weigh? 148? How tall are you? 5'7", 5'7", 5'7 and a quarter. It's not like I weigh 120, but I don't weigh 165. By the way, this is the first time in my life... in 22 years of doing this, than an actress has ever told me her way. But what do I have to hide? I know. I thought she was like six feet tall, and I don't know why I did, but I thought that. You have to hide your penis and vagina. She's a hermaphrodite. There's a rumor that she's both sexes. That doesn't mean that... Yeah, she's got both. She's got both parts. There's a rumor that she has both parts. Stop.
I'm not joking around. That's a real rumor out there. The word rumor means that it's not the truth. It's not a fact. It could be true. It could be. Let's just say that regardless if it's a man or a woman, someone's getting pregnant. I think what Sean is trying to say in a very different kind of way. She can rock both worlds. I think that what he's trying to say in a very weird way. In terms of the rumor, where there's smoke, there's salami. I've never heard that phrase. I don't know that phrase. Very famous. Everyone uses it. Where there's smoke, there's salami. I've heard that so many times. Oh my gosh. Here is Osama
Barack Obama's. It's Barack Obama and you know that. Barack Obama Bin Laden. This is his wife. I didn't know he was married. He didn't know he was married? I apologize. I apologize. Why is she jumping all over you? I'm not. I'm just surprised he didn't know that. What's her name? I don't know, but I know they have two little girls. Wait a second. You reacted to me like I was such... I knew he's married and I know he has two little girls. It was ridiculous that I didn't... It would be a story if a single man was running for the White House. That is true. I'll give you that. I guess I should have assumed he was married. His wife's name is Saddam. No, it's not. That is true. I know that is not true. That is true. Anyway, here she is explaining why more black people are supporting Hillary Clinton than her husband. Cut 27.
That I'm not ready. You know, I can't do something. My scores weren't high enough. You know, there's always that doubt in the back of the minds of people of color. People who've been oppressed and haven't been given real opportunities that you never really believe. That you believe that somehow someone is better than you. You know, deep down inside you doubt whether you can do it because that's all you've been told is no. That's interesting. This one should be interesting too. This is the founder of the Weather Channel challenging the data that was given about global warming. Cut 42. Well, when I looked at the hockey stick graph that was produced in Manning's original report and it showed a steady line temperature through the millenniums and then a sudden rise global, I knew that that was incorrect. Yeah.
I knew it couldn't possibly be, and I started asking experts about it, and I started digging into how that was produced. And I found out it was bogus science. It wasn't real. The numbers had been massaged. The whole thing had been created. What bothered me was that the other scientists had accepted it. Well, why did they possibly do that? And I think the real answer to that question is that they all have an agenda, an environmental and political agenda that said, let's pile on here. We're all going to make a lot of money. We're going to get research grants. We're going to get awards. We're going to become famous. And I guess that's what happened. Answer the doorbell. Yeah, dude. Your cell phone's going off, bro. Someone's blowing up your page. Even though pagers don't exist anymore. They don't exist, but he's got one. It's weird. Who knows? To me, it's getting hotter in Escondido every year. Just in Escondido? Yeah, man. You go out there in August, it's gross. Disgusting. It seems like it's always hotter and hotter and hotter. Here's a plastic surgeon that said he wouldn't do surgery on Kanye West's mom, who died during plastic surgery. Cut four. She had finally the courage to come up for consultation. She was really looking forward to it. Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Andre Aboulian, told us exclusively he met with Donda West in June to discuss breast reduction and a tummy tuck.
What she was asking for was a very legitimate concern. But he refused to do any procedures citing Wes's medical condition and needed medical clearance before he would perform any surgery on her. I spoke to her about two weeks ago, and she was supposed to see the internist for the medical clearance, the internist that I had recommended that I work with, but she never followed through. I don't understand. Does anybody get it? Yeah, he's saying that when she came to him for a consult, He took some basic blood pressure and things like that and found that she medically maybe not fit for surgery. She could possibly die or have a heart attack during the procedure. So she sent her to a doctor to get her medically cleared, and she never went. She never went to that second doctor. Yeah, she went to another plastic surgeon. Someone who would overlook it, basically. Have you guys seen the trailer for this new movie, Awake? I think so. Jessica Alba? Yep.
Apparently, the idea of the movie is that this young kid, like 21 years old, is like risen to Wall Street. He's real rich. 21 years old because he's a brainy kid and he's like real rich. He has to have surgery. And I guess you got to see the movie to figure out how. But the doctors performing the surgery stand to like inherit his money if he dies. And so they put him under, but he's not really under. And they're going to do surgery on him while he's awake. But he can't, like, respond. Shut up. No, I don't want to. And the whole point of it is... Paralyzed by the anesthesia? Yes. No more. No. And the point is to kill him. And they show this scene. They show this scene where they're showing him real close, tight, close-up of the side of his face. And you see a tear pour out of his eye. Oh, my gosh. The tear.
And I'm like, you gotta be kidding me. That is monstrous. Dude. I don't want to. No, thank you. And I'm all in on the movie because Thomas Howard, is that his name? Or Terrence Howard? He's in it. He's one of the doctors. And he's looking over the guy and says, don't worry. I'll be the first face you see when you wake up. But he's behind it. And they show him, I guess Jessica Alba is like his girlfriend. She's trying to walk into the operating center. And Terrence Howard closes the operating center door and locks the door. And she's looking at him like, what are you doing? Looks great. Wow. Real spooky. And then you'll never want to get surgery ever again. Great. You guys know what cell phone jammers are? Yes. I guess they're people that breakdance to cell phones. Is that the deal? No, no. I just assumed. Is it like a pair of tennis shoes that you wear while you're listening to your cell phone and they're called cell phone jammers? No. That's ridiculous. I know what it is. It's pajamas that you sleep in that have little cell phones all over them. No. It's your cell phone jammers. No. What is it, Skye?
It's a little gadget. It's actually illegal here in the U.S., but you can, of course, order it on the Internet. You can order anything on the Internet. And it actually jams like a cell phone. That's right, you can. A cell phone signal. Who's that? Sean. So, basically, if you have one of these little things and you flip it on, it is going to knock out service to any cell phone within 50 to 80 feet of you. Why? So, like, say you're annoyed by somebody who's a loud talker at the table next to you in the restaurant and they're on the cell phone. You flip that thing or you're just trying to be a jerk. You know, but they say that. That sounds right up Boston Rob's alley. Yeah. But they say, you know, the bad thing and the reason that it's illegal is because, you know, they're scared that someone would use it and somebody in that 50 to 80 feet radius would be calling 911 at the time or having some sort of emergency call and it's going to, you know, drop their call. So if you're caught... Not only that, it's just wrong. Oh, well, of course. It's just wrong, right?
Jackal, but so it has, if you're caught using one, you can be fined by the FCC up to $11,000. Been there, done that. Yeah, but I guess they're becoming more popular here in the U.S. even though they're illegal. Hmm. Yeah. AIDS. What? They're becoming popular in the U.S. even though they're illegal. Well, it's not illegal to have them made. It is if they're not legal. Well, okay, but that's different. It is? Yeah. Tomarello. Oh, Tomarello. Leaf. Leave him alone, Mike. Oh, come on. He played for the striking riders in L.A. Just, dude, come on. Why? Why can't he support people? Everybody? Every cause? Every protest? Not every protest. Every protest. No, no. He's at every protest. Was he out at the PYC protesting the protest? Yes. No, he was not. Yes, he was. He was there. You don't know. You weren't out there. I saw the pictures. He wasn't out there. He was not.
That's nice. Yeah, he played for about 3,000 of the striking screenwriters outside of the headquarters of Fox in Century City on Friday morning. It's nice. Boo. Justin Timberlake's a bad gift giver. He gives presents that he wants them to do. Yes. Like, give me an example. Well, the latest one that the tabloids are talking about is that he just bought a custom surfboard for Jessica Biel, who doesn't know how to surf. But I guess he wants to teach her. And the other reason that they consider him a bad gift giver is because he bought the exact same gift for Cameron Diaz four years ago. Oh, burn! That's not good. That hurts. I got something really cool here. What? Marvel Comics is now finally going online. What does that mean? They're going to be putting up their back issues online. And you can basically, you can pay for like...
a monthly rate or a yearly rate or just one issue, and you can order their back, you know, from like, you know, X-Men number one and get it online and read it online. Oh, but just online. It's not like they send you a hard one. No, no, no. You're reading the comic book online. So you can't go on there and order and have it sent to your home? No. Like in the actual... No. But I mean, to me, that's awesome. Would you do it? In a heartbeat, absolutely. Which ones would you be interested in? Well, I mean, back in the day, I collected all the catalogs. And so I would like to go back and look at some of the different ones that I may have missed or the origins of Iron Man or whatever. I mean, that's an awesome thing. And so they're the first comic books to do that. DC doesn't do that. So that's really cool. Hey, if you're traveling this year, the airlines are expecting more people on planes, so just know it. Know it up front. Yep. Be prepared. It won't affect you. Ash, you're not flying. You said you weren't flying this year. Well, I'm going to have to go home for Christmas. So I'm going to fly. Well, this is a Thanksgiving thing. They're not saying anything about Christmas. You might be all right. Thanksgiving is crazy. Yeah, they are expecting about 27 million people to fly in the U.S. And they say the majority of planes will be at least 90% full. Eddie, are you flying on the Wednesday? I'm flying Tuesday night.
Steve's flying in Wednesday. I'm sure that won't be an issue at the airport. I'm sure he'll be on time, too. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sure it'll probably be early. He wanted to come Thanksgiving Day, which is usually okay, because everybody's already flown in. But I just didn't want to deal with it on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day, I just want to be fatter than I normally am, watch some football. Eat some good food. Yeah. And it's actually going to be some good games this year with the Lions and Cowboys both being good this year. That's pretty cool. Yeah. I'm not sure who they're playing, but I know one of them is playing. Is there going to be three games again? Yes. Indianapolis, I believe, I want to say. Look it up, Seth. Yeah, look up the schedule. I know it's Indianapolis for sure. I want to say it's the Chiefs. I think Indy's playing Atlanta. Atlanta, that's who it is. Indiana, Atlanta. That's the NFL Network game. That's kind of a third. Atlanta blows, and Indy's real good. There's another one, though, right? Well, Detroit is always first, and then the Cowboys play. Oh, I thought they were playing each other. No, those are the two teams that always play on Thanksgiving. Got it, got it, got it. Yeah, find out who they're playing, Zeth. Yeah, it's loading right now. And then the only other thing I was going to tell you about... Did you have one? The only other thing I was going to tell you about was... Apparently...
There was a guy that was stopped in Escondido at a checkpoint. And he was driving a 5 Series BMW. It was brand new. And they pull him over on these checkpoints. They pull him over to the second checkpoint. And they find out that the dude can't produce any paperwork. It's a stolen car. He had a loaded firearm. Drugs. And what happened? They just arrest him right there on the spot? Well, no, what happened is he couldn't produce a driver's license, and they said he appeared to be really nervous, so that's when they moved him to secondary screening. When they went to approach him on secondary screening, he took off in the car. So they chased him. He bailed out of the car, jumped over a fence. That's when they found all the stuff, the gun, the drugs, and all the other stuff, and then they brought out the police helicopter who found him about a half hour later, and he was booked in Vista Jail on suspicion of auto theft, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of methamphetamine, amphetamine and evading arrest. Oh, and they say the car had just been stolen in San Diego recently. Yeah. Bad day. Right? Yeah, it is. All right, Zed, what do you got? 9.30 in the morning on Fox, it's Green Bay at Detroit. That's a great game. Yeah. Green Bay, Detroit's great. Finally. That's the early game? Yeah. Okay, that's good. That's money. And then what? 1.15 on CBS, it's the Jets at Dallas. Yeah. Yeah.
And then on the NFL Network at 5.15, it's Indy at Atlanta. I don't like CBS. I just don't like their coverage. It's just, you know, it's too adult. That pregame show is the worst on television. Oh, bro. It's so bad. Brutal, man. It's brutal. Yankees re-signed Jorge Posada. Four-year deal. Yeah, they finally got one guy signed. They said they're going to offer Mariano Rivera a contract now. Really? Yeah. Have the Padres signed Alex Rodriguez yet? I'm sure they have. We just haven't heard it yet. Well, at midnight, it was the opening of free agency, so I'm sure they're already done. Yeah, done deal. I know for sure we'd probably be in that mix. Yeah, for sure. Alex Smith, the quarterback for the 49ers, he's terrible. Terrible. Dude, did you watch any of that game last night? Yeah, I did. I mean, wide open guy. I mean, you think Phillip Rivers is missing wide open guys. Holy cow. Watching Alex Smith play. That was hard to watch. That was the year in the draft that Matt Leinert decided he was going to stay in school one more year. Yeah, he would have been a 49er. He'd have been a 49er. Wow. Jerk. Adrian Peterson has a torn knee ligament. I bet that feels awesome.
Yeah, he kind of lucked out because it wasn't one of the, I guess, crucial ones. Crucial ligament in your knee. And this one normally repairs itself with just rest. And so they're going to hold him out at least two games, but probably more. I heard about it, you know, and I go, I need, in our fantasy football league, I need a running back. I need another running back really bad because I don't have one. And so I go online. I thought, okay, let me see if Chester Taylor's available. Mike Costa with the worst fantasy football team of all time has him. I disagree. I think that Zess and Rob's team is maybe the worst of all time. They're like second in the division, are you? Yeah, it was still pretty bad, though. Dude, they started two guys this week that didn't even play. Who? Travis Henry and Chris Brown. Why did you do that, Seth? Stupid. They weren't officially out until Sunday morning. I set the lineup Saturday night, and it just happened. like that. Meanwhile, Rob doesn't have a clue. No idea. The two of them are a team. Tom Brady throws a lot of passes. Tom Brady had a bye. I think you guys had like four points. I wouldn't know. I don't really follow the Patriots. I know he had a bye, but I'm saying to God we got Tom Brady's carrying the team. Tom Brady is a bye? Yes. That is true. I saw that picture. He's also undefeated, champ. All right? All right, champ. All right, champ. Loud and clear.
You don't know what's happening in that fantasy football area. I'm like, whatever. Why are you like, whatever? Yeah, why? You wanted to play. Whatever, dude. Yeah, I did want to play, and I'm in it, but I don't really care. That's great. Thanks for playing. Why don't you look online? I just hope we win. Him and Zeth are the bromo of last year. They are. They're the worst. They are the worst. Dave Abramowitz was in our thing last year, and he never set his lineup one week. He didn't care, and he still beat Mike Costa. That's the way to be. When they'd play, he'd still beat Mike Costa. Who can't? 570-1053. I have him this weekend. Mike Costa. Automatic win. 570-1053. He's the host of the fantasy football show on the radio. He's terrible. Ashley, this guy hosts the fantasy football show. He's the worst. He doesn't even listen to me and Brian when we tell him to do stuff. He doesn't listen. What is the deal with Mike Costa? He's an idiot. Poor Costa. Well, it's true. We got to get out of here. 570-1053. Is Missy back today? I don't know. I think so because Budweiss is staying. Yeah, we haven't seen that other guy. The fisherman walking in here. What's his name? Fishy. Miss, if you're here, come on in now. We want to see you and say hi. I don't want to catch nothing. Yeah, unless you have something and then we got to put on our gas masks. But I'd like to see you and say hello. We missed you.
Especially with the butterflies on there. Mikey Show. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey, what's up? What's up, man? Hey, you know what? I know Sean's off the air, but maybe you guys can catch this question. I've been trying to catch him when he's on, and I keep missing in the show. There's a movie back with James Woods. Back, it's all sci-fi flick. I want to say it's like Video Something, Videodrome. There's been an argument with some friends of mine. I was trying to get an answer. I figured Sean was a sci-fi buff, but... IMDB. IMDB.com. I'm sorry? The website that you want is called IMDB.com, and you can find out every movie that James Wood's ever been in. Oh, really? Uh-huh. Check it out. Okay, cool. You got it. Thank you. Thank you very much. You got it. Mikey Show. Yeah, Mikey. What's up? Hey, when Jamie Lee Curtis dances that little jig in True Lies, she looks just like Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. Watch and compare, man. Wow. This will be Jamie Lee. Mikey Show, hello. Oh, it's Eddie. What are you doing? Eddie immediately pushed the microphone away.
Threw his hands up in the air. What's going on, paparazzi? You're the last call. The frequency jammer that you guys were talking about for cell phones, what Scott was saying is sort of true. Their main concern is criminals using the frequency jammers. What would they do? What would they use them for? Imagine a bank robber deciding he wants to rob a bank. He flips that on. Nobody in the building can call out with their cell phones to call and let authorities know that they're being robbed. Once again, paparazzi with a... killer point what a surprise that he would know about that paparazzi thank you for the call well like i said it jams phones and their concern is people needing to call 9-1-1 like i said you're wrong but i said he did what i said but he put it in a bank robbery analogy i thought it was a decent call well i mean it's it's good but it's not like i didn't say that lovely and talented missy is up next nice to have her back Today on the Nooners, she's got the all-request lunch hour. We will see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out late.
