Welcome to the show. It is 6-0-1. A Las Vegas judge ruled yesterday that there's enough evidence against O.J. Simpson for him to stand trial on charges including kidnapping and armed robbery. Never say never. Alex Rodriguez talked to the Steinbrenners could remain a Yankee. That's kind of an annoying thing. It's crazy. Can they make a big deal out of if he... The Yankees said if you declare for free agency, then you will never be a Yankee again. And he did, though. Yeah. Well, then they're lame. Yep. That's really lame. Talk about it, dude. Well, it just makes you think, like, well, you guys are lame. What a bunch of losers. Well, the deal, I guess, is A-Rod was the one that requested the meeting because he felt like, you know, things didn't go down the way they should have and all this stuff.
Why, because he went out there and he can't get a job from anybody else? Oh, no, he'll get the money. No, no, no, I mean for as much money or whatever. No, he'll get the money. He said, you know, after taking some time, talking with his family, he realized that it didn't, you know, the way it went down didn't go down the way he felt it should, that he should give the Yankees as much chance as anybody, and he wanted to open the door. Why is he doing that? It's a good question. I mean, the Yankees are the number one organization in sports. So maybe he's realizing, like, hey, if I go to the Angels, maybe that's not as high profile as the Yankees. He just figured that out? Maybe. I don't know. He sounds like a smart guy. He wanted to come to a winning team, and the Red Sox will never take him. Oh, boy. That's not even true. We're working with Lowell to resign. There you go. Boston Rob. Rob. Yeah. That's right. You tell him, man. Welcome to Mikey Show. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37 years of age.
And my name is Mike. And last night I called Ashley. I had to, you know, ask her to do some stuff. And when she answered the phone, it ripped my face off. Huh? Whoa. I said, I go, she said hello. And I went, oh. Hello. The sound of the hello itself ripped the skin right off my face. What did it sound like? What was the matter? Yeah. Like a reenactment, please. Please. Please do not think that this is an exaggeration. Oh, no. I beg you guys. I beg you guys to believe me. Because you won't. You won't. Okay. Come on. Oh, wow. It literally knocked the wind out of me. Maybe she was asleep or something. Well, she said, she goes, you know, and then I went directly into what I called her about, and she goes, you can't just pretend that I'm...
We're not uncomfortable. What? You can't because we fought today. You can't pretend that we're not uncomfortable because we are. Tough love it is. Tough love. And he was like, we'll make up later. I need to talk to you about words. That's true. That is true. And she goes, but you still love me, right? Something else. Eddie is our producer and sports guy. He's a handsome man. He's got dark hair. Don't you forget it. Looking good. Looking good. What do you got going on today, Eddie? You're rolling t-shirt style on us. What? I wear a t-shirt every day. No button-up today? No. Chalkingly. No loafers today? No, Eddie.
That's weird. Eddie does not have tails like you. Usually he's got the tuxedo with the tails. Not today. Or the sports coat. No polo. No walking cane. Fine. No monocle. No top hat. Fine. Eddie knows a lot about sports and we grew up in the same hometown. Skye is our news girl. She's 30 years of age. Hi. And she wears sweaters. Yep. She's a big fan of them. She likes them. What are you going to do about that? Yep, really dressed up today, Mike. What t-shirt you got going on? Well, I got my old Ben Harper t-shirt that I believe has a hole in it. Oh, yeah, there's a hole right there. And then some sweatpants with my grandma sweater over... Eddie, you a fan of that? Okay. Let's be friends. We're our friends. You ask me a question, I'm going to answer. I just see the look on your face. Well, I just don't understand if you're... shirts have holes in them like why you can't get rid of them and get new shirts yeah what are you me um because what are you rob um because the shirts that have holes in them that i do keep have sentimental value what is that one about this is ben harper and the innocent i mean what's the sentiment about behind that one um it was one of the first concerts me and the hubby went together two together first concert we ever made love at oh my god we never made love at a concert we were hippies and you know
Like, what do you think is going to happen? If you get rid of it, your love will dissipate? I'll forget the memory. See, I have, like... So, when it gets too holy... Well, basically, I'm cheap. Yeah. That's what it is. No. When it gets too full of holes... It then moves to the next stage, which is the homeware. So, after it's too holy to wear, like, outside, it then moves to another section of the closet, which is all my, like, stuff I wear around the house. Betty, Sean. Can you guys imagine what the home ones must look like? Dude, the sweatshirt I was wearing last night, my whole shoulder is hanging out because the hole is so big. Your husband sees you in this way? The cuffs barely are staying on, and I stick my fingers through all the holes in the arms. When did you give up? I didn't give up. You've given up. No, I've always been this way. Well, I know, but I mean... So he has seen that forever. When you guys were dating, he knew that it was... Oh, this used to be his sweatshirt. But he's always seen you wear the holy stuff at home, like the not-fit-for-prime-time t-shirts. Oh, dude, there's a hole in my boobs hanging out. Well, no wonder he was wearing that. Now it's suddenly cool now. He's like, yeah, you cannot go get the mail in that. That must be a gigantic hole. Shut up. Sean's our sound effects guy. He is 37 years old.
And he has on a white undershirt right now. That's what we're looking at, a white undershirt. That's all. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 24 years of age. She's wearing the hoop earrings. What more do you need to know? It's a good look. Boston Rob, same thing. Also a good look. Thank you. He is 24 years old. He's so lovable, you can't even help it. You know, he's like that pet you have you just can't get rid of. You love it so much. And he screens phone calls. And I'll tell you something else about his personality. He's very honest. He's usually pretty honest with you. Tells you straight up. He's kind of bizarro Ashley. Yeah, that's a good call. She gets mad a lot. and does stuff that scares us. Rob is the opposite. Rob is happy-go-lucky and always happy. That's true. That is true. I'm not scared of him at all. You don't need to be scared of me, Eddie. Oh, please. I've seen you in action, man. Terrifying. That's not strong enough a word, Sean. I agree with you. That is not strong enough a word. Genocide? Wow. I'd say that's...
That's too strong. What do you guys think it'll be like to be her kid when they're in trouble? I'm hoping this is a phase and she's going to grow out of it. You think she's going to blame her kid for everything? Eddie said something the other day. Eddie said something the other day and it literally made the hair on all of our arms stand up when he suggested this. Eddie says, can you guys imagine if she... were promoted to a position of legitimate power. And I shuddered. Yeah. In fear. In fear. She would rock it. My team would be the best. Oh, no. We would roll. Everybody would be in tears every day. No, I take good care of my team. HR would call her in again. Yeah, right. And she'd be like, okay, fine. Bunch of pussies.
She'd intimidate HR. Zeth is Ashley's pet. Call the SPCA. That's true, man. Is Zeth more her pet than her friend? Shut up. Absolutely. Abused pet. Maybe abused, dude, but I'll tell you. Well trained. He keeps coming back, so what are you going to do? She feeds him. Terrible. Seth is 22. He's a really good kid. He's the seventh member of the Mikey show. My wife saw a license plate yesterday and said, are you strong enough to be my man? The license plate? The frame? The frame? Are you strong enough to be my man? And she thought it was really unusual, and so I made her crazy by saying, what's wrong with that? Oh, my. That's not fair.
You know what you're doing. You'd love to do that to her. It's a low blow. When I do it, she puts her head back, she rolls her eyes, and then she repeats my question. What's wrong with that? I go, what? Well, this went well. I don't think so. So we're talking about, clearly, we're talking about a crow fan. What's a big whoop? Maybe it's a whole line of Sheryl Crow license plates. All I want to do is have some fun. I'm leaving Las Vegas. Hello. Thank you. It could be on Crow.com or whatever her website is. I go, why don't you just come to terms with the fact that that's an inside joke with Crow fans? I go, don't you think...
that other Crow fans drive by her driver's side and give her the thumbs up. Oh, yeah. Solidarity. And Rebecca goes, no, I do not think that. A little double honk. Yeah. But then it sort of morphed itself into a conversation about this particular license plate frame. And I said, okay, so where do you acquire it? I said, is this a... like a thing at the fair, and it's one of those places where they've got all the sassy license plates, and you're browsing the sassy license plates. I said, because you gotta, I go, you gotta give me this, honey. I said, there is a difference between the sassy license plate browser and the sassy license plate maker. Will you guys all give me that? Yeah. She didn't think there was much of a difference.
I go, oh really? So you're telling me, person walks in, they're browsing, they see it, they go, ha ha ha, sassy, I like it, that's me. I got it. How much? You don't think that there's a difference between that guy and what letters do I get? Well, you get 50 letters, ma'am. Are you strong enough to be my man? You mean like a custom frame? Custom made frame. Do they do that? Yeah. Yeah. Put anything you want on those frames. I'm going to do that myself. Put anything you want on those frames. But dude, will you give me that there's a difference between I saw it, it's already made, I'll take it and make me a frame that says. For sure. She says, uh-uh. It's almost creepy the person that customizes that to me. Because you have to go...
this is something that I want and I have to seek it out and make it. As opposed to, you're at Spencer's or Hot Topic and you see it and you go, oh, it's funny, it's cute. I'm going to get it. There's a big difference. And she said, attractive, middle-aged lady, you know? And I said, what's the big whoop? I said, I think it's just somebody that, you know, they enjoy the show. Oh, shit. Do you understand? Are you strong enough to be my man? Bold statement. Are you strong enough to be my man? I mean, you know that that's not true, though, right? Oh, it's not true. Yeah. I know that. The person that did that. Tell me what it is. Wait, wait, wait. Before you answer. Before you answer. Please. I would like to say this. Because this is something that I was thinking about. I...
Honestly, I just want to phrase things nicely because I realize it's a real person. A real person could actually be listening right this very moment. Definitely, at the very least, a friend of the person is going to say, hey, this was being discussed. And I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but I am genuinely curious about, are you strong enough to be my man? That's a very bold statement on a license plate frame. Eddie? Yeah, I have a lot of thoughts. I feel that this person has been through heartbreak. Clearly. Probably a divorce. Clearly. Clearly. Yeah. This is not probably a person that is in an extraordinarily happy marriage. Right. I mean, the person... Because the husband would be like, why do you have Elizabeth? Yeah, I mean, that's false advertising. Right. So, yeah, I mean, this person has probably been cheated on. Has probably had her heart broken by several people in her life. And has finally been fed up. Saw that frame and goes, you know what? That's what I need. Or maybe even a girlfriend gave it to her. And she's like, yeah, I'm putting that right on. I am in love with your theories and want to marry them. I think they're both really good. I think it's clear. This is what I worry about with this particular...
plate is, I think to myself, that is going to attract a man that is not strong enough to be your man. Yeah, I think it does the opposite effect. Absolutely. Because strong men are going to see that and go, ew. She's going to attract a one bald cyclist. Well, just because Sheryl Crow was dating Neil Armstrong. Lance Armstrong. It's Lance Bass. Hey, ball breaker! But, yeah. I think that who it attracts is the guy that aspires to be strong enough to be her man. Yeah. But it is bold. I mean, at the very least, that is a bold, because there is the process of finding sassy license plate frame, and then there is the process of removing old sassy license plate frame. Taking license plate off.
Probably cleaning it because it's dirty. Well, part of her independence is the fact that she was able to take that license plate, change it all by herself. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Definitely. It wasn't taken to the dealership. She didn't need a man. I don't need a man to change a license plate. I have my Sears toolkit that I can go get. Yes. Yeah, the one with the zipper. Yeah, that I've never used. But I think there's a screwdriver in there. And maybe one of those, what is it called, Phillip? Philip Driver. You polish it, you put it back on, you put the new frame, you put the screws back in, and now you have the, are you strong enough to be my hand mobile? Stand back and mire. You camera phone, photograph, and send it to the girlfriends. Oh, yeah. Who instantly text back, you go, or you go girl, or you go girl. But it hasn't worked yet, which is, you know. Disconcerting. However, it is bold. Very. I am really excited about today's show and Boston Rob eating bizarre foods. Oh, no. Oh, boy. I'm also very excited about Andrew Zimmern himself coming on the show. Wow. He's the guy that does bizarre foods on television. So he's coming on. Which, by the way,
Sean taped last night, and his wife did not make it through the taping. Oh, no. I don't bliver. You know, the thing is, like, I told her before I started watching it, I go, you know, you may want to go do something else. And she was adamant about staying there. And I'm like, you don't... You don't like these shows. You always leave. No, no, I can handle it. I can handle it. We get barely into the first thing. She's upset. She leaves the room. She's yelling from the other room. Let me know when it's done. And I could tell she was angry at me. And I didn't know where was that anger coming from. You gave her fair warning. I know. Well, then there's the other aspect of poor Sean got his hopes up. He thought, maybe she will watch it with me. A little bit. So you're looking forward to maybe your wife turning the corner. That's great. But I don't know how much time we need for the following deal, but this story of Mr. Sky going to get an estimate? What do you call it? Consultation. He went to get a consultation yesterday for Invisalign.
which is, Miles McPherson had Invisalign. It's invisible, yeah, it's invisible, invisible braces. And they're very cool. You can't tell that anybody's wearing them and they're fixing your teeth. So he went and did a consultation and didn't realize that, you know, there's one of those paid, you got to pay for this consultation. Well, it wasn't informed. Was not informed of that. Where did he hear about the place? No, this is our dentist. Oh, it's your dentist. He went in for a cleaning and the dentist was like, hey, you know, I noticed you have some space in your teeth. Are you like, you know, and he's like, well, yeah, I've kind of always wanted to fix that. And he goes, oh, well, you know, we do this great product here, Invisalign. Would you be interested in learning more about it and seeing if you qualify for it? Yeah. Okay. Come back on this day and we'll see if you qualify. Come back on this day.
Do the whole dealio. They take the molds, whatever. He's going to leave. You know, they're like, okay, well, once we hear back from Invisalign, if you qualify, we'll let you know and you can come back in. Okay, leaving. Oh, sir, you didn't pay. Oh, you mean like my $20 copay? Oh, no, you have to pay $250 for this consultation. That's not cool. Well, does my insurance cover that? Oh, well, we don't know. We haven't run your insurance. You know, we normally don't do that until later. But normally most insurance don't cover this. This is seen as cosmetic. So my husband, who, you know, I hope he doesn't take offense, I believe has a little bit of social anxiety, you know, kind of starts to fight it. But then notices that everyone in the waiting room is watching. This is their show because nothing else is going on in the waiting room. This is their show listening to this guy get fired up and pissed because he wasn't told he had to pay $250. So he caves and just pays it and leaves. Now, for my money, at that point, decision made. Gotta live with it. That was the decision made. Decision made was drop it, leave.
Yeah. Except... Except he made the wrong decision. And I had to fix it. Wow. Well, he made the wrong... In your opinion, he made the wrong decision by leaving. Yeah. And so... You always fight the man. And so... You took the matter into your hands. Well, because... You took him to court. It takes brass balls. So... So as I'm driving home yesterday, I always call the hub as I'm driving home from work. And so, oh, how's your day? And he goes, you're not going to be happy. And I'm like, oh my gosh, what happened? He goes, well, I just left my consultation, blah, blah, blah, tells me the story. And so I'm like, you paid it. Yeah. I'm like, okay, I'm calling them right now. And he's like, well, are you sure? And I'm like, well, yeah, this is ridiculous. This is wrong. You know, if they told us up front it was going to cost $250 and then we still showed up and did it, okay, that's one thing. But we were never informed that this was going to cost us anything. So... Why'd you tell him to call back? I do all the correspondence. She does the correspondence. Again, social anxiety can't handle things like this. But wasn't it his responsibility?
Oh, yeah. But it's my money. No, that's not the issue. Don't you think there wasn't something burning inside of me because he just walked out and took it? You know what I mean? I had a lot of thoughts and feelings that I haven't expressed yet. You're entitled. You're entitled to feel that way. The only issue I had with it was deciding, well, now I will take care of this now. Well, yeah, because it's either that. Bring in the closer. It's either that or suck it up for the $250. Call the cleaner. And I didn't think that was right. Get Mr. Wolf on the line. Oh, no. I didn't think that was right, so I wasn't going to. Actors genre no from the professional. He walks in with the sunglasses and the big silencer, you know. I will take care of this. Tell me who did this. I figured this is a good learning experience for my husband regarding, you know, if something like this happens again.
He's learned his lesson. How to deal with it. Just call you. Well, no. He needs to stand up and fight. He can't. He doesn't have it in him. But we've got to find it. No, it's not who he is. Don't try and change him. You know who he is. But he's pissed. Remember when Eddie was saying, your husband's not really the toast type of guy. He doesn't really give toast. He's a quiet guy. We call him the silent assassin when we play poker. He's a quiet guy. So if he goes to a dentist and it doesn't happen, that's his deal. It'd be like him telling you, just take it. Yeah. And then when you didn't just take it, you were to call and fight. The dentist is in the wrong. We're not in the wrong. I agree with that. But he's embarrassed and he'd rather just pay the money than have to sit there and fight. No, he'd rather pay the money, leave, and then have me fix it. Did he tell you that? Did he say that? No, but I know. I mean, I know him. Of course he wants not to have to pay the money, but if you weren't around, he would have just taken it. Oh, yeah. You're right. You're right. So now you're trying to change him. Well, because he's not happy that he took it. Of course he's not. Nobody would be. So doesn't he want to be happy? Doesn't he want to change it and make it so he doesn't take it? Yeah. Okay. But he's not going to.
Well, we can have the discussion. I get what you're saying about he wouldn't admit it, but he actually wants you to take care of it. Oh, 100%. Of course. And he would admit it. I think he would admit it. He would admit that he wants you to take care of it. Well, when you got Trevor Hoffman coming out of the bullpen, of course you want him to close the game. That's why you're married. Hey, listen. Maybe that's why the marriage works. Yeah, yin and yang. Yep, we're a team. We're a team. Compliment each other. So, end result. But she's trying to make him be the yang. Well, you can't do that. Yeah, that's not right. Now, here's what I think, Sky. Okay, fine. You guys are a team. You'll take care of it. Whatever. But maybe don't give him so much grief on the back end. I didn't give him any grief. You want to? I thought you said that you just said to him. and you paid it and he goes yeah and there so maybe yeah you didn't say anything more about it and you just said i'll take care of it and then you guys hung up there was no well why would you do that or why would you there was none of that well i didn't have to say that because he explained it because i mean i think he knew i was and you didn't show any kind of grief that he did it well no later like because there were multiple phone calls i probably called and got
return phone calls. What are you getting upset about? He's a tiger. He's got stripes. What about him having the stripes? He's got the stripes. That's who he is. You're you and you'll take care of it. You guys are a good team. That's like Trevor Hoffman walking into the game and going, hey guys, put me in left field today. You know what I mean? But if Trevor Hoffman is upset that he's not playing left field, he doesn't have the ability. But he's upset. He doesn't have the ability. Can we train him? Can we give him a shot? Can we give him a shot at it? That makes us a jerk because we're giving him a shot at left field? No, you're not giving him a shot. You're forcing him. Because he doesn't really want to play left. He doesn't want to play left. But he feels bad when he's not playing left. I'm not going to be a handyman anytime soon. My wife, she knows this about me. I'm not a handyman. If something happens and I behave like a non-handyman would, she's not going to say, it's time for you to become a handyman. Right. Listen.
I'm not a handyman. But if you went to her and you're like, you know, it sucks that I can't fix things. I really wish I could fix things. And she said, oh, well, maybe you can, you know, take some handy classes. But he's married. It'd be like him being married to Bob Vila. Exactly. He is. He's married to a gal that'll get the job done. I mean, you're an expert when it comes to fighting the man. Oh, I got it done yesterday. Of course you did. I got multiple phone calls returned. I got an apology. There you go. And I got... The money refunded, plus they're going to go ahead and process the Invisalign anyway. For the record, which I didn't ask for. I said I didn't ask for any freebies. I'm not accepting any freebies. I just have concerns over the way you guys conducted business. Well, you should be thanking him then. You got some freebies. I don't want the freebie. I felt like a jerk all yesterday after they offered the freebie. Then I felt like a jerk all day. Why were you a jerk? You love free lunches. Eddie, because I'm really good at being confrontational with people I know and love, but with strangers. It's true. It's true.
You know, I have no problem taking on any of you, you know? I mean, because, you know, I know at the end of the day, there's still going to be love. But with strangers, I don't like it. So I was, like, really upset all yesterday about having to put the hammer down on these people. Yeah, but money is more important to you than any of that stuff, so. Principle is more important to you. I agree with you. I think it was wrong. They shouldn't be asking the guy, then have him go in there and try to charge him for it. Of course. Of course. But you know the... Deal. You know what he's like. So when he calls you and says it shouldn't even be a surprise, all it should be is that's handing the ball to Trevor. Okay, don't worry. I'll take care of it from this point on. One, two, three, out. Game's over. Instead of, hey. Trevor giving him a hard time out to the pitching team. I didn't give him a hard time. The wanting to have a conversation with him to make him learn for next time. Oh, I do want to have a discussion, and I've been burning inside, but I haven't had a discussion yet. There has been no discussion yet. But you want to. I want to. Hell yeah. Let's walk the thought through. You have the discussion, and he goes like this. You know what? You're right.
And then the next time it comes around, he's like, he turns into this different guy. I'll change everything about me. Changes his personality. It's not going to happen. You know what I would have preferred? I would have even preferred, once there's the issue there, and he's feeling like he's being pressured to pay this, call me right then. How emasculating is that? Oh, my goodness. Oh, so it's not emasculating to have to have your wife call back. Not when you're standing right there. You're like, oh, my husband just left. Wait a second. So you're saying. I know he rolled over, but I'm not going to. So you're saying he calls you. Oh, wow. And he's like. He did. Hey, honey, it's me. I'm standing here at the counter here and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yes, dear. Yes, dear. I know. I tried to explain that to them. Hey. My wife said that you better not do this. And she said that this isn't fair. My wife's confused. She'd like to talk to you. While everybody's staring. Yes. That wouldn't be at all embarrassing. Call your wife in a lobby. And then hand the phone over to the person. Have your wife take care of it. I want to pay for the guy. I feel so bad for him. 5701053.
It's all better now, though. P1 paparazzi on the line? Good. Oh, Eddie, why did you... Uh-oh. Eddie immediately closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Because, well, paparazzi calls all the time, and he worries Eddie. He's our friend. He's our friend. He is. His name is Brad, and he used to take a lot of pictures when we'd go to do appearances, so we nicknamed him paparazzi. Brad, how are you? All right. What's going on? I feel sorry for Mr. Sky. Next time he goes to the dentist's office and he has to pay a bill, they're going to look at him and be like, do you need to call your wife and get authorization? No. Well, guess who has a cleaning coming up in a week? I do. I'm sure they're going to take nice care of me. But he's right. Either way, next time you guys go in there, you're that guy. I know. I was thinking yesterday about switching dentists. Oh, really? A woman wants a woman to fight his battle for him. He wants to take care of the girl. Oh, no. He wants me to fight his battle for him. He will tell you. He would prefer me to fight the battle. He probably does. He probably does. Yeah, I believe that. You know, they're different, and one compensates for the other. It's the same thing in my marriage. Yeah. That's why my wife handles the money. She's better with it than I am. Welcome back. On the show today, we got some tone-deaf karaoke. Good boss today, guys. Congratulations.
Tone Deaf Karaoke is Ashley singing and listeners trying to figure out what she sings. It sounds easy, right? Yeah. We're also going to do something today. Tough Love with Eddie. We're also going to fill you in on what happened with Cheater's Hotel yesterday. Oh, really? Right. Bizarre Foods' Andrew Zimmern is on the show today. And... And Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. We will be taking you to a part of the world where he will enjoy a delicacy. Awesome! We got all of it. Winner plugs all tomorrow. We'll tell you what that means in just a second. Pablo Francisco in the stand-up spotlight. 105.3. They have that in the songs he's playing back there. He has a little radio playing the Mexican music. Sweet.
It's like a 24 hour track of the same notes. This one is my favorite. This one I get married to. And the singer sounds like he's shrinking. He sounds like a little troll. This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 1053. Is this Ryan?
Yeah, this is Ryan. Ryan, what's the deal? You went to AMCO? Yeah, actually, I took your advice. Last week, my check engine light came on, and I heard the radio ad yesterday morning on the way to work, and I went to the Mission Boards location, and Nick hooked it up. He found out that my number three spark plug wasn't firing, so I told him, hey, you know, I can fix that myself, but I told him, you know, even though he wasn't able to do the service on my truck, that he has my service. down the road for when my transmission goes out. Because he did that for free, right? Yeah, he did it for free. See, I mean, how can you not respect that? You didn't end up having, and most people, they would have charged you just to tell you that, and then, you know what I mean? And now that guy's got a customer for life, and that's basically what Amco's philosophy is. Amco diagnoses you for free, just like this guy. It's double A-M-C-O. Efficient. Yeah, that's the word I'd use to describe Pacific Honda. Okay, let me explain. At Pacific Honda, you've got it all under one roof. Awesome customer service, huge selection, and believe me, I checked, they know how to price their cars. What more could you want? They sell the most Hondas in San Diego for a reason, which makes them the most efficient. See? You're following me. Check them out in Kearney Mesa or from the convenience of home at PacificHonda.com. the Cheaters Hotel. I'm going to tell her that I'm calling from a hotel and offer her a free night to stay. If she says a name other than your brother, John, she's probably cheating. Hello, can I please speak to Samantha? This is her. Someone that you know has entered you into a drawing that allows you to spend one evening for free in our hotel. All I need to get from you is your guest that you're going to be bringing so that we can put it on the gift card. Yeah, actually, I guess I'll put it to Mike because Trisha is on the line as well. Trish, are you there? Yeah, I am here. What is this? It's the Cheaters Hotel and only on the Mikey Show. A lot of people were saying that Britney Spears was kind of MIA over the last few days because usually you get pictures of her with a paparazzi all over TMZ and all over the different websites every day. She's been like real MIA. It's Thursday. Nothing. Usually, you know, you have her robbing liquor stores or, you know, assaulting someone in a park for drugs. Something weird, right? Hunting a baby. Yeah. And nothing. And Skye says, yeah, they found out she had plastic surgery. Whoa. She's currently recovering from getting her butt and hips reshaped. A little lipo. Welcome back to the show. It is 643. Have you heard this story about Pat Riley getting into trouble?
Or was it Jackson? Phil Jackson. The Phil Jackson thing and him getting into trouble? Well, he made an inappropriate joke. He made an inappropriate joke. Cut 43. Yeah, we call this a boatback mountain game because there's so much penetration to kick out. Pause, pause, pause. Gotta know what the question was. Reporter said to Phil Jackson, this was a couple of days ago. It was on Tuesday. A reporter, after one of the games, says to Phil Jackson, the reporter says, Basketball 101 out there, right? They're getting penetration, so those guys are being left open outside. That's what the reporter says to Phil Jackson. Phil Jackson says this. Yeah, we call this a Brokeback Mountain game because there's so much penetration and kickouts. So, you know, it was one of those games. That really, apparently...
Scandalous. Yes. That was pretty funny. That was kind of funny. Apparently the people in that room thought it was pretty funny too. Got a good laugh. Since every reporter started laughing. So then he had to obviously do this. Got 42. My attempt to be humorous, which was using an alliteration last night. What is that alliteration? I was greeted with some humor by the journalists and the people that were around me covering the ball game. I'm not Jay Leno or David Letterman. I'm a basketball coach. And, you know, trying to bring levity to the situation probably doesn't work when it's pulled out in retrospect. And I want to thank ESPN for doing that and making an issue out of this. And if I've offended any Cowboys, any Texans, any horses, anybody else that would be offended by these comments, I want to apologize. So no apology. Yeah. Well, making a joke in the apology. Yeah.
So, in other words, I'm really sorry, and actually, I'm not really sorry. Psych! That is a trip. Wow. Pat Riley, who is the head coach of the Miami Heat, he kind of upset some people, too. Like his own players, right, Eddie? Is this the suit me up? Do you know about the suit me up comment? No. I guess he made this comment a couple of days ago, and it upset people on his team. Cut 38. I guarantee you I should shoot up. I play better than some of them right now tonight. I guarantee you. I swear to God, with an old hip, 62 years old, can't see. I can't see. I play better than some of my guys tonight. Come on. They're pretty bad tonight. It's not humorous, but we're pretty bad. No, it's kind of humorous, except to your players. Yeah, not to them. They don't think it's all that funny. Oh, man.
And you could hear him. He's jovial. I did hear that. He's having fun. He's just calling out his team. He's having a good time. Isaiah Thomas and Stefan Marbury, they're not in a bridge club together. They do not enjoy hiking trips with one another. They don't go deep sea fishing on the weekends. or watch high-definition movies at one another's houses. Okay. They're not buddies, but they are coach and player. But they don't seem to get along, right, Eddie? Well, they got into a fight. They got into an argument. They've made up. Oh, good. But they were on a plane ride where, I guess, somebody told Stephon Marbury that Isaiah, who was the head coach, was planning on benching him and starting another guy. Mm-hmm. That really upset Stephon Marbury. And so he confronted Isaiah on the plane and they got into a big, you know, hoo-ha. Hoo-ha. Yeah. And Stephon Marbury left the team. He's like, I'm out of here. But how can you... Where did you get hoo-ha from? How do you do that, though? How can you do that? Well, you're not... You can't. You cannot do that. You cannot just leave the team. I suspected you can't. You've just confirmed it. That you cannot leave the team because you're mad. Correct.
And so he ended up getting fined $195,000. Which he pulled out of his couch. Or ashtray. And then had to make up with the coach. Here's Isaiah, cut 39. Make no mistake about it, there's no person on our team that's not on notice. You said you still want him as part of this organization. Do you still want him as your starting point guard? If he does the things that I want him to do, Yes. Sounds like a party over there. Yeah, so much fun. Yeah, it sounds like they're really having a great time just kind of working together and working as a team. Teamwork. Teamwork. It's all working out great. At some point, we've got to get to this Drew Peterson stuff from the Today Show yesterday. Who's Drew Peterson? He is a guy that is being questioned because of the death of his third wife and the disappearance of his fourth wife.
And he happens to be a police officer. And he decided, I know what I'll do. I'll go on the Today Show. I feel sorry for everyone named Peterson. Everybody listening right now with the last name Peterson is like, give me a break, man. No more. I'm just trying to live my life, you know? What, Sean? He said except for Scott. Sean, what time did that happen? No, no, wait. Is it possible to take it back? Here was Drew Peterson on the Today Show. Cut five. You know, you're a police officer. You've probably said this to other people that you've investigated over the years. Can you look me straight in the eye and tell me that you had nothing to do with the death of...
of your third wife, Kathy, or the disappearance of your fourth wife, Stacy. I'm going to look right in your eye and say I had nothing to do with either of those incidences. You seem extraordinarily calm and collected. And I guess if I were under the pressure and the scrutiny you're under right now, possible indictment as early as today or tomorrow, I think I'd be a little more... Basically, I'm not afraid of law enforcement. I'm afraid of the media. I've been hounded by the media, and the media is what's... causing my aggravation or me being upset with life and living today well the guy's kind of in a catch-22 in that situation like well okay i'm sorry ask me again and i'll sound like freaked out what do you want if i sound freaked out then don't you follow it up with you seem a little rattled right now that's a good point uh here is drew peterson i'm being asked enough
First of all, don't do Matt Lauer drill. No. Stay away. You realize he's a hungry pit bull. Yeah. He's not just... Some pit bulls can be dangerous, but when they're hungry, they've been starved for 40 days, and they just want some meat, and you're sitting in front of them, that's Matt Lauer. Cut six. So when people look at you and they say, here's a guy who's been a cop for 30 years. He knows police work. He knows weapons. He probably knows how other criminals have gone about covering their tracks. He's the perfect guy to commit a crime. How do you respond to that? How can I? What can you say? I did it. I can't even respond to that. Well, what do you say? Eddie, how can you respond to that one? No, I don't know anything about how to get rid of a body. That's wrong. You say that, that's wrong. Yes. If I'm being frank with you, I could do it and nobody would know. I'm actually an expert on how to do this. I've never done it. Don't get me wrong. But if I wanted to, no problem. I am not responsible for my third wife that is dead. And my fourth wife is missing right now. And I'm not responsible. However, as a police officer, if I want to get rid of info,
You ain't gonna find it. It's really just blind luck. Oh, wow. Okay. That's right. Yeah. That's right. There's lots of shady stuff involving this scenario. Also, that kind of runs a little parallel. There's some similarities between the Scott Peterson thing and this thing, the way they act, the shadiness. Oh, how about this? Cut nine. True or false, you ended up with a million dollar payout from a life insurance policy you had on her. Actually, my children did. And that money is in a protected account for them when they turn older. Well, if that's true, he doesn't have 10 million bucks, right? Unless there's something we don't know. Maybe like a little loophole or a little, oh, I forgot to mention this. I don't know. I don't know either. That sounds weird. It does sound weird. But Matt Lauer's getting a million dollars. It's a lot of money. He says, no, it went to the kids, and they can't touch it until they, oh, unless maybe he's the executor until they turn 18. Like, I can touch it. They can't touch it until they're old enough to make a wise decision. I'm pretty wise, though. Yeah, that's how it was with my mom. She had, my grandpa was putting money away every year for us for college, and my mom had control over it. She could still access it. Well, then why did you just buy a new Ferrari? Well, I thought it was a good idea, you know, to take them to school in it, the Ferrari.
Well, he's sitting there doing the interview with the all-gold crown encrusted in diamonds. Well, he has a theory on where his wife is. Oh, please. He has a theory on where she is. And when we come back, I will play for you where he believes his wife is. Right after this. This is William Shatner. And you're listening to The Mikey Show. Featuring my good friend, Sean. And from what I've heard... He's seen every episode of Star Trek. Standing up. Hey, Sean, get a life. When was the last time you went shopping and got cash back? When I first started talking about the HHR, I wasn't seeing it anywhere. I saw them in Hawaii out of all places when I was on vacation there. But now you're starting to see them all over the road. This is such a cool car for Southern California. It's great to go to the beach. You can go to Home Depot and pick up your wood. You can go grocery shopping. You can throw all the kids and their soccer junk on the back. This car is so versatile, but yet it's so cool. And what I love is with the HHR, it has great fuel economy. You can go up to 450 highway miles on just one tank of gas. That's based on EPA estimated 30 highway miles per gallon. Or if you're not into the HHR, Chevy has eight vehicles that go 30 highway miles per gallon or even better. So if you want to find the latest offer on the 07 HHR or any other Chevy car, just get on your computer, log on to SDChevyDealers.com or go in and see your Southern California Chevy dealer today. You're listening to the Mikey Morning Show with Mikey. I'm such a foodie.
And a food snob, but I love that Olive Garden. Eddie. We think fights are funny, so the kids should die. Yeah. Sky. I'm coming up on being married six years. Sean. I like Boston Rob. What? I like to take my time and do things right. You sure do. And Ashley. Sometimes things make sense in my head, but not to anybody else. Gonna give you this clip of where this cop thinks his missing wife is. It is 7-0-1. A former drill instructor was convicted yesterday on multiple charges for abusing recruits. The D-backs Bob Melvin and Cleveland Indians Eric Wedge win the Manager of the Year awards. Another thing I got coming up that's pretty scandalous is there's a contestant on Dancing with the Stars whose 16-year-old son just went into rehab and Larry King ambushed this person on live TV and said he knew about it.
And she's like, how'd you know about this? Whoa. So I'll give you that audio coming up in just a bit soon. So the cop's name is Drew Peterson. You may have been hearing about him in the news because his third wife died, and it sounds like mysteriously. Fourth wife is missing. And he was on the Today Show. And here is what he says about his missing wife. Cut 10. And is it fair to say that you believe that Stacey right now is with that other man? She never told me she was seeing another man. She, well, maybe she did. But I believe she's with somebody else right now. Let me just go back. Pause. Did she or did she not say you? Yeah, there you go. Thank you, Matt. No, there you go. He's someone else. True. It wasn't put like that. She found somebody else. That was her exact words. And you believe that she is now? If your wife said to you,
she found somebody else, and it was put just like that. Why would you ever say to Matt Lauer, I don't know that. Right. How could you say? Well, wait a minute. She said to you, according to you, let's hear the whole thing again. And is it fair to say that you believe that Stacey right now is with that other man? She never told me she was seeing another man. Pause. Huh? I thought she found somebody else. Yeah. That means the same thing there, guy. Right? I thought she found somebody else. Uh-oh. That's really weird. Those exact words. Unpause. Well, maybe she did. But I believe she's with somebody else right now. Let me just go back to, did she or did she not say to you, I'm seeing someone else, Drew? It wasn't put like that. She found somebody else. That was her exact words. And you believe that she is now...
not dead, that she has actually run off with another man. I believe that, yes. You've described her as, although she had emotional issues, as you've said, she was a good mom. She's a great mom. All right. And so how does a good mom of a two-year-old and a four-year-old go off with another man and never call the kids to see how they're doing or to tell the kids that she's okay? I don't know. I can't answer that. No explanation for that? I don't have an explanation for that. Matt Lauer goes, so she ran off with another man. No, she never said that. She said, I found another man. That was her exact words. Huh? Matt Lauer said, she's seeing somebody else. No. Not seeing somebody else. I found somebody else. What's the difference, guy? Wow. I wonder if prosecutors were...
Well, you would have to think detectives on the case are like going, huh? What was that? Crazy guy? That doesn't make any sense. In the middle of the thing when he goes, oh, maybe she did. Yeah. Yeah, he did. Huh? Brutal. Are you just realizing that now? Wow. On the Today Show? I get a question. Yeah. Do we know what happened to the third wife? Yeah, Rob asked a good question. Sky, do we know? Yeah, so basically, well, there's a lot of shady stuff going on. So he is married to the third wife when he is dating this girl that has now disappeared. Oh, boy. But just like Scott Peterson told this woman that he was dating, who's now disappeared, that he's single at the time. Keep in mind, she was 17 at the time they started dating. There's a 30-year difference between the missing woman and her police sergeant husband. That's crazy. That doesn't sound good. Right. So, you know, obviously gets a divorce from the wife and to now be with the new woman who's, you know, 17 years old at the time. So the wife was, you know, fought for child support and got $2,000 a month child support. And he was in the process of trying to have that reduced and they wouldn't get it reduced. And she got to keep the house and live in the house with the kids.
It sounds like it was kind of an ugly divorce, the way it went down with the cheating and all the financial stuff. Well, so he picked the kids up for a weekend visit, went to return the kids, couldn't get into the house, finally got a locksmith out, got into the house, and the wife was found dead in a bathtub with head trauma but no water in the tub. So they ruled her death as an accident and assumed maybe the water leaked out. while she was laying there dead and she had slipped oh boy so they actually just exhumed her body And they're going to figure it out? Yeah, they're going to figure it out. And also keep in mind this woman who's now 23 years old that's missing. The police sergeant's now 53 years old. That she told friends and family that she had told the hubby that she wanted a divorce just a couple days before she went missing. She had told family members if anything ever happened to her, it was not an accident. Oh, hello. She told people that she was afraid of her husband.
that he monitored and limited her telephone calls and her social contacts with other people and was very controlling. The third wife, the one that was dead in the bathtub at one time had protection orders out against the police sergeant. It's over. Yeah, so obviously all looking really bad. Yeah, there's nothing more you can do with that case. No. Come on now. Tone deaf, tone deaf carrier. He sounds like Ashley. Guys, our P1s playing for today. We have some entries to the big SoCal Pre-Circuit Showdown Texas Hold'em Tournament at Harrah's. Where you will be playing? I will be playing. It's November 26th through the 29th. Let's do this thing. Ashley sings. You try to figure out what it is that she's singing.
What's the matter with her? That's tough to figure out. I'm fine, Eddie. It's tough to figure out. Something's wrong. I'm fine. So you call us at 5701053 and we play the game. That's as simple as that. Let's see. We got P1 Uncle Albert on the line. Uncle Albert. Hey, Uncle Albert. We're so sorry. Uncle Albert. Are you ready to play? All right. I'm going to... give you a clip of Ashley singing You Just Have to Tell Me What It Is. Are you ready? Yes. Here we go. Will not let myself cause my heart so much misery. I will not break the way you did. You fell so hard. Kelly Clarkson. That is correct. It's like my tone. With Gwen Stefani and Fergie. You're saying your voices are similar. Yeah. No. I can hit her tone. It's easy. You can't. I did. No, you didn't. Yeah.
Because of you. It is beautiful. Congratulations, Uncle Albert. All right, thanks, guys. Hang on the line. You should have that checked. But I'm fine. P1 Rambo? Rambo, you ready to give this a shot? Rambo, are you there? Good morning. Oh, for goodness sake. Are you ready to give this a shot? Yeah, let's do it. All right, here we go. Special dedication to you. Too many ah-hies. What? I don't accept. P1 Rambo. Can you give me a title or artist on that to win? Guns N' Roses. That is correct. Very upsetting. Hang on the line. D1 Patrick. What's going on? Not too much, dude. Are you ready to play? I sure am. Let the entire clip play and then give me title or artist to win. Here we go. One of my favorites. One of my favorites. Not mine. I have no clue. Oh, come on, Skye. Like the previous two, I knew immediately.
She really sold out for that one, too, man. You got that right. P1 Patrick, do you have a title or artist? I loved it. Oh, wow. No idea, man. I'm glad, because I want to hear it again. I'm glad you don't. P1 Bruce, I'm going to play it for you. When it's over, give me a title or artist to win. Are you ready? Enjoy. I just got it. And couldn't believe it. P1 Patrick, title or artist to win. Come on, dude. You can do it. Just give me a guess. Do one, Bruce. Oh, Bruce. I'm sorry, Bruce. Give me a guess. Who was that? I have no freaking idea. It was cream. I got to play him at the same time. I got to play him at the same time. It's tough for the notes. It's not garbage. When he starts to really hit those notes, it's where she struggles a little bit. It can be tough, but you know. Any note, really. Start singing when she struggles. Any note, really.
It's garbage. Coach, I agree. It's not garbage. Hey, I'm kind of excited. Coming up next, we're going to be doing something called Tough Love with Egg. Oh, hello, Scott. In your face. Ready for a little tough love? It's coming up next. Say what you have to say and shut up. Uggs are the footwear sensation, and Boot World's selection will blow your mind. Uh, breakfast at McDonald's. Man, you're good. Premium roast coffee would be so awesome right now. Rich, bold, abacus beans. Arabica. That's what I said. Remember when we were free to just go get an Egg McMuffin sandwich? You mean before we got in line. Exactly.
Can't you just taste that fresh cracked egg? Oh, yeah, and the smoky Canadian bacon. Melted cheese. Those were good times. By the time we get through this line, breakfast will be over. Well, three words, my friend. Angus third pounders. Those are thick, juicy burgers. The big, beefy taste of Angus. I could so go for an Angus mushroom in Swiss right now. Oh, give me the sizzling bacon of that Angus bacon and cheese. It's an Angus deluxe day. Thick, juicy tomatoes, red onions. Oh, my mouth is so watering right now. Let's ditch this line and go to Mickey D's. I have to register my car, dude. Can't you go pick it up? In a car that's not registered? We drove here not registered. Okay, that's a good point. Give me the keys. Participation and duration may vary. Breakfast served during breakfast hours only. G59. McDonald's would like to help keep family and friends connected during these difficult times. Cricket Wireless. by sleep train mattress centers. You've got a tough ride out of the South Bay right now in this 805 northbound. Pretty jammed up from before H Street all the way into Mission Valley. There's a bad accident involving a motorcycle down with injuries here in the fast lane right at the 8th area as it comes over Mission Valley on that big, big old bridge there. And that's where we made a mess of that 805. Now the 5 might be a better way to go that you are seeing some heavy traffic there now as well as people use that as an alternate. That's pretty backed up here from E Street in Chula Vista all the way up into National City then again towards the bridge.
Westbound side of the 94 King Freeway, not too bad. A little tight from Kelton to the 805. Your 8 commute westbound out of the East County. That's a little bit slower around East Main Street to Gajon Valley. Slows again from Severn Drive all the way in towards Lake Murray now. Westbound 52 is seeing a busier ride as well at a Santee from the 125 kind of off and on up to the top of the summit there. South 15 coming out of Escondido. That's a slow one now from El Norte Parkway all the way down to Villa Rancho. More brake lights into Rancho Bernardo. Then again into around Poway Road. And the coaster ride southbound 5 is quite a struggle from Point City only in Carlsbad down and in towards Solana Beach. And another traffic alert in effect on the westbound side of the 78. There's an accident near the El Camino Real exit, which has got you big time backed up as lanes are blocked here. That's slow from Emerald Drive all the way into that crash. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Let me tell you about Mossy. Mossy is great. You've got to go down to Mossy Toyota in PB. Mission Bay Drive in PB. Go down there and check out all the new and used vehicles that they have. I'm talking the ones that you want. If you're a truck guy, check out that Tundra. Tons of power. You've seen the commercials where they slam that giant brake drum down on the table because those brake drums have been new and improved and they're awesome. Check out the Tacoma, the 4Runner. If you're green, check out the Prius. All those 2007s have to go, so who's making out? You are.

It is not until you get to know me that you realize I'm completely self-absorbed. Teddy. I like my sandwich. I like my sandwich. Okay, Skye. Thank you. Don't doubt the news, girl. Sean. I'm actually pissed off. Boston Rob. I'm the token Boston guy on the show. That's right. Every show should happen. And Ashley. You make a compelling argument. I'm a compelling person. On Rock 105.3. Smooth like honey, huh? Arm yogurt right down Sean's throat. Oh, bad. Nice and piping hot.
Goes down smooth, just like a salty glass of milk. This is the way that Sean likes his yogurt and his milk. That's gross. Salt in his milk, he says, and he likes to heat up his yogurt. He does, he eats baby food. Right out of the jar, every day. I'll have to ask the Bizarre Foods guy if he would ever eat that. He's like, no way. It's 721. People Magazine named Matt Damon this year's sexiest man alive. Darren Sproles was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, and Antonio Cromartie wins the Defensive Player of the Week. I have to say thank you on behalf of the city. I appreciate that. You're welcome. Out of the kindness of his heart, I will each week try to help human beings living in the San Diego metro area. It's my form of charity. That's right. This is your form of charity. What, with it being near the holidays, I think that this is going to have even extra special meaning. Yes, this is the eggnog edition. Thank you. Tough love. Oh, it tastes good. Delicious. Tastes like ass. People write Eddie. They ask for advice. He doles it out. He does not placate them. He shoots straight from the hip. That's why we call it tough love. Yes. Sometimes you need that. Our first letter reads, Dear Eddie, I really hope you get my letter on
on the air before December 29th. That is the day of my wedding. I proposed to my soon-to-be bride last month, and we were in the midst of planning our big day. Neither of us want a traditional wedding, but what I really want is a Harry Potter wedding. A wedding? Sorry. Are you sure you read that right, Mike? Check again. Check again. I'm going to read it again just to be sure. Double check that. Wow, that caught me off guard. Oh. Neither of us want a traditional wedding, but what I really want is a Harry Potter wedding. Okay. All right, then. She as Potter and her dressed as Ginny Weasley. What the hell is that? I know. Okay.
I need to read the book. As you probably know, after reading the last book, they got married in the future. No, I didn't. I didn't read the book. As you know. No, well, no. As you know, comma. Well, no, we haven't read the book. Guys, he's speaking to me. After reading the last book, they got married in the future. Oh, so you knew that, Eddie, from reading the book? My best man can be Ron, and her maid of honor can be Hermoni. Hermoni? Hermoni. Which book is it? And we will have Dumbledore marry us. How cool is that? My fiance needs some convincing, though. She isn't really down with it. Can you help me out? Signed P1 Quidditch champion. Eddie? Oh, man. You're my big fat geek wedding. Greetings, nerd. Oh, man, where to begin? Okay. Now, if you were doing something cool like a Star Wars wedding, then that may be a different story. But Harry Potter, okay. Listen, guy, I didn't understand a half of what you even said.
But you may not be a lost cause. You're probably a really smart guy. I mean, I bet you can fix my laptop without even touching it. But that doesn't mean you have to be the poster child for dorks. Now you say, as I probably know after reading the last book. Guess what, Poindexter? I'm not 12 years old. I didn't read it. And be thankful that the first girl you ever hooked up with has agreed to marry you. And let her do what she wants, okay? I know you've never spoken with any other female on the planet, except for in chat rooms. You didn't know that. Usually they don't go for Harry Potter-themed weddings. They don't? No, usually not. Okay. So I'm just going to actually pick up my wand here, and I'm going to do a little spell for you. Okay. A la cunard! Yes! What did you just do? You no longer want to dress up like a 13-year-old wizard. And if that spell didn't work, then get on your broom and jump off your roof. By the way, a nerd. I want to go to that wedding. That sounds fun. Our next letter reads, I'm having the worst trouble with my new boyfriend.
Okay. I'm trying to teach him that flatulence is not funny. Thank you. The word is funny. Oh my gosh. All he does is break wind nonstop and frankly, I'm sick of it. Gross. It's bad enough that he does it, but then to cackle like a hyena afterwards makes me furious. Thank you. What can I say to show him that it's not a laughing matter? Signed, P1 Teresa from Lakeside. Eddie? Dear owner of a lonely fart. He's enjoying that. He's laughing at his own joke. He's laughing right now. Eddie is enjoying that. Come on, guys. You know what? She's right. It's not a laughing matter. It's a pointing and laughing matter. Yes! Your boyfriend sounds like a great guy. He does? You know, Sky, the strong, silent, but deadly type. I get it. He's a real breath of fresh air. Hey. Yeah, you got any? Perhaps a nice gift from your boyfriend might be, to smooth things over, might be a nice Dutch oven. Something like that.
Or maybe you could get a couple of birds to release back into the wild. You know, let one fly. Are you kidding me right now? We're adults here. Well, how about getting him something? Maybe a block of unsliced cheddar? Sean, you're in your 30s. I mean, first advice. Okay, come on. Be serious. Come on. Here's a nice gift to get. Sky is so... This one's for real. This is the biggest waste of time ever. You have to hear this one. I don't want to hear this one. Here's a gift for him. A nice propane grill. Okay, but you can't forget the propane tanks, you know. Pass some gas. You did not. And there you are. Advice 101. That was your advice. Advice 101. Sound advice. Fart jokes. Buy cheese. What do you do? It's unsliced. You gotta cut it. Wow. You're welcome, Teresa. I hope you guys are proud of yourselves.
That's great. I hope Teresa was taking notes. What she can do. Didn't help at all. Problems. Stings the nostrils. Our final letter reads. Dear Eddie. Yes. I work at a restaurant in Point Loma. There's a new girl named Heather who just started working with me. She is 17 years old and very mature for her age. I mention this because it matters here. I want to state for the millionth time I am not interested in her in a romantic way. Here we go. I am 30 years old. Oh. Yeah, because 30-year-old dudes aren't attracted to... Okay, anyway. He's saying it for the millionth time, Scott. Okay, okay, okay. Don't judge him. Apparently, he's heard what you just said, but from others... Okay, great. Judgmental. He says, anyway, we are friends, and people at work are telling her...
Not to hang out with me because I am a, quote, freak for wanting to hang out with her. Do you have any advice? Signed P1 Nate in Point Loma. Eddie? Dear statutory Nate. Yes, I do have advice. For Heather. My advice is mace. Or pepper spray. Whichever you prefer. and a coach's whistle around your neck, but in your mouth when in a visual line of sight of Statutory Nate. Hey, Scott, you better be safe than sorry. I like it. There it is. There's Statutory Nate. There's Statutory Nate. There he is. You got to remember always to walk in pairs around Statutory Nate. Also, do not work with Statutory Nate anymore. Yay!
I heard Red Lobster's hiring down the street. Jump into a lot of conclusions. Do not talk to Statutory Nate. Statutory Nate is 30 and you are 17. Statutory Nate says he wants to be friends, but Statutory Nate should have older friends. True, probably. Friends in their 30s. Probably true. Should also have his social security number given to the FBI. Probably. Just in case. Just in case. Mikey's brother Steve thinks Nate is weird. That's not good when that happens. That's usually bad. I'm just saying. Okay, okay. I feel bad. Nate wrote and I feel I should address him. Nate, you hear that doorbell ringing? That's Chris Hansen, bro. He wants you to explain your IMs.
He wants to know why you call yourself freshman and college guy 22. You're telling me a big fat lie. Yeah, he is. He is, Chris. Get in that kitchen. My advice? Cancel your MySpace and stop trying to coach volleyball. Well, Sky. Advice 101. Didn't help a single person today. And Sky. Can you hear it now coming up Nobel Drive? Oh, she can hear it. No, I cannot. Oh, yes, you can. No, I don't hear anything. Yes. No. It's the sound of healing. You're welcome, San Diego. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is The Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to say. This is turning into just a mess of a commute again here this morning as 805 is suffering out of the South Bay in single digits.
Just crawling from before 8th Street all the way into Mission Valley. This all due to a bad motorcycle accident that was blocked in a fast lane right at the 8th freeway as you come up to that bridge that heads over the valley there. And that just caused a major mess. A traffic alert, in effect, advising you to avoid that such a freeway if you possibly can. Seeing heavier rides now on the 5th freeway out of the South Bay as people try to hop on that freeway. It's an alternate. That's backed up from E Street up to Main and Division, then again in towards downtown. West 94 on the King Freeway, that's slow and go now from College Avenue to the 805. West 8 has got a new accident now entering the Greenfield Drive off-ramp, and that's got slow traffic now from Las Coaches to that scene. Backs up again from right around Severn as you head up over to Gristomach Summit, and that continues off and on all the way in the Michigan Valley to the 805 Freeway. South 15, just a bumper-to-bumper ride as well out of Escondido from El Norte Parkway all the way down past Via Rancho. More brake lights now through Carmel Mountain Ranch. West 78 is backed up from before Emerald Drive, passed a crash during El Camino Real, continuing to the 5 freeway. And if you're on that 5 south, you're going to find a heavy ride from La Costa pretty solid into the racetrack in Del Mar. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. B1 Adam. Yeah, what's up, dude? Hey, I just wanted to tell you that actually, like, I listen to you guys, like, all the time. And I called AIS because I needed new insurance. And they seriously saved me, like, $200 a month. I'm glad to hear that, dude. I know. And I told him that I heard it from you. And they're like, yeah, he gets us.

When have I ever been over coffee? This guy. Once I'm out. Hold on, somebody. I'm out. Yeah. Sean. Hold on. You're making me sound like I'm crazy. I'm out. Be Rizzle. Go me. All right. That's right. Go you. And Ashley. I'm a laughy person. The Mikey Show's on. Oh, we are messed up in the head. Rock 105.3. Oh, is he in there scolding her? He's trying to. Oh, that is so hysterical. Oh, Rob is trying to. Oh, that. I wish we had a camera. Look at his body language. Oh, I wish we had a camera. We were.
In the studio, in the main studio right now, and I was playing, we were playing this machine that I always tell Rob the volume needs to be down on. And I was hearing the machine. And so I said, dude, where is that coming from? You got to turn this down. And Rob freaks out. Of course. He's like, dude, I'm telling you I turned that down, dude. I swear on my life. He did. He said that. He said, we're not joking. He said. Look at it. Out loud to me, he goes, dude, I swear on my life. I turned that down today, dude. And he looks at Seth. He goes, did you do it? And Seth's like. And Rob goes, wait a minute. Ashley did it. I saw her editing this one. I saw her. I better take care of this. I saw it. She's busy right now. So he goes into her studio and the look on his face of like. For the first time ever in my life, I can scold Ashley about something. I'm going to nail you to the wall. You are dead to right, dude. Your career in radio is over. It is over. There have been things that I... Well, I just let things slide. You know what I mean? Because I'm like, you know what? It's not a big deal. So I get yelled at for 30 seconds. I don't care. Dude, if she had just got yelled at about something,
that I had done. For the record, not only would I get punished and yelled at, but there would be another talking to later about how you need to be on top of this, bro, and that's your thing. For the record, I want to paint the visual. Oh, my God. For the record, I'm looking at the front of them because I face them directly, so I'm looking at them through glass. Rob comes into her studio, and I'm seeing both of their faces. She's working on the computer. He comes in and starts to address her. She's not even looking at him. She's just working on the computer. He's very stern. He tells her what went wrong. She bursts out laughing. That he's being stern with her. It was cute. You can see that she thought it was cute. Endearing. I'm meaning many. One of the most hysterical things I've ever seen. This is the number one downloaded song on iTunes this week and I've never heard it. It's by Flo-Rida. Flo-Rida. Flo-Rida. Flo-Rida. Well said. Featuring T.P. Yeah, Flo-Rida. The song is called Kiss My Grits. I don't think so. So I hope you enjoy it. Welcome back to the show. So much stuff, man. We got so much stuff. So many directions we could go in. 570-1053 is our phone number.
So if you feel like calling us for any reason at all, you can. By the way, Ashley Olsen just did a show and tell for her boyfriend Lance Armstrong's daughters. If you just arrived here from the past in a time machine from the year 1991, I'm not kidding. What? Also, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Lisa Gibbons to... the board that oversees California's stem cell agency. Again, if you have just arrived here in a time machine from the year 1991, I'm not kidding. Celebrities are running the planet. That is correct. So, thank you. Those are both true stories. It was between her and Mary Hart. Yeah. I love them. I flipped a coin. This is the judge yesterday.
Judge Joe Bonaventure talking about what's going to happen now with O.J. Simpson. Cut one. It does appear to me from the testimony and exhibits produced at this hearing that the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary while in possession of firearm, two counts of first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon... two counts of assault with use of a deadly weapon, and two counts of coercion with use of a deadly weapon have been committed, and that there is sufficient evidence that Orenthal, James Simpson, Clarence Stewart, and Charles Ehrlich have committed said offenses. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I had no knives, they're still alive. That's right. Johnny Cochran just sent me that from heaven. Yep. That doesn't mean a crime wasn't committed, OJ. I've had worse. Well, wait. Is there any black people in this room? Can somebody help me out here? Hook a brother up. Hook a brother up. Okay. Get me out of this. Come on. Isn't there like black super friends? Black Vulcan, where are you? Yeah, man. Where are you now? And where's the Green Lantern when you need him? He's a brother. Yeah, man. Where's Marcus Allen? Forget those guys.
Hey, Marcus. Come on. Help me out, man. This is OJ's attorney, Yale Galanter. I'm not kidding. That's the person's name. Okay. Cut to. He is obviously very concerned. These charges are as serious as it gets. Holy cow. He takes it very seriously. He knows what the consequences are of being found guilty. That being said, he knows in his heart that he is totally innocent of these charges and does truly believe in the jury system. Really? I can't believe that O.J. believes he's innocent. Even he knows he's guilty. I'm guilty. Look, just give me a black jury and let's get out of here. I got tea times to get to. I got dinner reservations at Donovan's. Hurry it up. Get the black people in here. I would like to be the one to do the closing arguments. It sounds something like this. Jury, I'm black. I rest my case. Let's take it into consideration. That's all I'm saying. Hall of Famer. That's right. My name is OJ Simpson. Thank you and goodbye. That's right. Famous and black.
We both know what we've all been through and just do what your heart tells you to. Oh, my God. You know what you did last time? Right. Just think, if you put me in jail, it could happen to you. Well, what could happen to me? You could be falsely imprisoned for something you didn't do because of the color of your skin. Okay. Which is clearly what's happening here. Okay. We don't like to talk about it. That's right. Racism still lives. Oh, it's the man. Okay. Yeah, racism is the man. Wait, what? I think. They're all men. Yeah. White men. Oh. We got to get our racism on. It's different. Where did I put that racist card? Let me see. It's here somewhere. Hang on a second. I had a whole deck at one point. Oh, it's with the rest of my memorabilia. That's right. Let's play 52 Racism Card Pickup. Pick them up. That's not a game. Yeah, it is. It's not. Racism Card Pickup. You never played it? No. What about Racism Skipple? Yeah, that's right. That's a good one. How about Racism Uno? Yeah, one of my favorites. Yeah, or Racism Pinochle. Yeah, Racism Go Fish. Racism Old Maid. That's really weird. Racism Gin.
Racism war. That's right. Hey, OJ. Racism chopped two people's heads off. OJ Simpson. That one doesn't. Oh, yes, it does. You want to fight about it? Well, no, I'm just saying that's not a game. No, no fighting. We don't want to fight. White lady. Come here. No. Stop it. P1 Richard is on the line. Hey, Mikey. What's going on, man? Hey, bud. How can OJ afford a lawyer? Doesn't he owe the Brown family a bunch of money? That is a good. Ooh. That is a good question. How does OJ afford lawyers right now? That is a fair question. Yeah, that could be true. Well, there's nothing to win. Well, but for the media attention. Oh, I see. We know the names of all the lawyers involved in his last trial. That is true. So I see somebody doing it just for that reason alone. Good point. Thank you very much for the call. P1 Mike is on the line. What's up, Mike? Hey, yeah, I'm just curious about the bill. board there on the 163. It's got a picture of you, and it says broken on it. I'm just kind of curious what that's all about. I'm supposed to listen and decide. I don't know what I'm supposed to decide. You are supposed to decide if I'm broken. I can answer it for you, but I'll let you figure it out for yourself. Okay, I changed my mind. I'm going to answer it. Yes, I am broken. Oh, man. If you're wondering what does that mean, broken, what does that mean, broken?
Tell you a little story, Mike. Here we go. No, don't do so. And I was a child. One of the ways that my parents would discipline me would be to, well, let me give you, for instance, say, you know, as a case of bad grades, got to get those grades up. Mike, what my parents would say is, listen, you either get those grades up or you're not going to go with us to visit your brother. in Tucson when we go visit your brother in a few weeks. So I hope those grades are good. You following me so far, Mike? Sort of. Okay. It was a way of trying to get my grades up. They said you either get those grades up or you're not going to go visit your brother Mark in a couple of weeks when we go visit your brother Mark in Tucson. Does that make sense? Yeah. So far. Okay.
I'm sure that was fine being a 16, 17-year-old singer in high school. Right. Actually, Eddie, you know this full well, but for the benefit of the story, I understand what you're doing. What do you mean? What are you talking about? I was actually 11 years old at the time. Oh, wait. Just a kid. Not even a teenager? And so, Mike, what happened was is that I did not get the grades, and so they went to Tucson. They actually... Well, the only thing I'm leaving out is that they left me at home by myself. Wait, but you were only 11. Yes, I was, Eddie. I was only 11 and I was very scared. And so you see, one of the ways that I was disciplined as a child was to be abandoned and terrified. As a result, Mike, I am... So does that kind of put that 163 billboard into perspective for you a little bit better, Mike? Yeah, maybe. But maybe the picture should be of you when you were 11 then as opposed to how you are now. I mean, you seem to have adjusted. Yeah, you must have just started listening. You need to listen for it. Are you new to the show? Are you new to the show? Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. I listen to the show and I see like...
Home Def Karaoke. The Hollywood Report. Hang on a second, Mike. You are a new listener, and that's why that billboard says listen and decide. Because some people, like my wife, may question whether or not I am well adjusted. And so just keep... staying with us here yeah give it some time you'll figure it out give it a little time and then you decide for yourself is this guy well adjusted or is he in fact broken so thank you very much thank you very much mike that is mike and he is a new listener and wow i'm glad he's a fan of my hollywood report it's the hollywood minute oh my hollywood minute whatever for goodness sake you guys knew give me a break this email says zed isn't ashley's pet That is the subject. So Zed is not Ashley's pet. I said earlier today that Zed is Ashley's pet. And he says he's not Ashley's pet. Right. So if you take into account the way Ashley treats Zeth, he's more like Ashley's own personal Ramsey. Terrible. Signed P1 Josh. Zed's dead, baby. That's right. I am going to play for you a little clip here of something that happens on the TV show Bizarre Foods.
There's a great TV show. If you haven't seen it, it's called Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. Here is a clip of Andrew trying some, well, rather unappetizing food. Cut 40. The crickets are prepared here adobo style, which means they're first stir-fried, then sautéed with onions, garlic, and tomatoes, finished off with vinegar and soy sauce. Let's see what everybody loves about these. Those are good. These crickets... themselves taste most like cooked cucumber. They have a very, very mild sort of sweet, nutty flavor. I gotta tell you, these little guys are good. Oh my God. Sounds delicious. On the line with us right now, Andrew Zimmern. Those were good. I'd forgotten how good those crickets in the Philippines were.
Wow. Now, my first question, Andrew, is would you consider yourself a foodie? Are you a guy that loves food in general? Yeah. You know, I've spent my life in food. I was a classically trained chef, worked in Europe, and for many years came back to the United States, opened restaurants in New York and in California during the 80s, and then opened a bunch of restaurants. in New York City, getting into the 90s. And then slowly but surely, at a point in time in my career when I could, I sort of leveraged out of showing up in a kitchen and got into food writing and food radio and food television. And I'm a very serious, serious food guy. But along the way, I sort of started to channel my childhood passion, which was really for traveling and diving into other cultures and experiencing... stuff that isn't things that are found at the typical hotel buffet line. And I would much rather spend a day in the Amazon jungle with pilchie Indians shooting wild chickens with a bow and arrow and roasting them up with some grilled piranhas on the side of the lake, Napo River, than I would sitting at the...
You know, Hard Rock Cafe and Keto and having a bad piece of pizza. Well... We're opposite. Yes, we are very different. Andrew Zimmern on the line. He's the host of Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel. And I'll tell you something. You have inspired us here on the Mikey Show because we do our own Bizarre Foods segment with our very own Boston Rob. Really? Yes, we do. Today, he will... Well, last week he ate... Let's start with a D. Durian. Oh, yeah, that's a horrible fruit. Yeah, it was. Smells like New Jersey, right? Here's the thing. Worse than that, and I'm a New York guy, so I get that joke. Here's the problem with durian. You're the only two. It's got a creamy, nasty consistency that shouldn't be present in a fruit. And the worst thing is that it's grown and consumed in countries where there's about... 80 of the most incredible fruits you've ever tasted in your life, side by side at the vegetable and fruit stand, and people would rather have it by the durian than the mangosteen or the dragon fruit or the tree apple. I mean, some of the fruits that are available in tropical Asia would blow your mind. They're so good. And do they eat that? You know, whenever I'm in tropical Asia, I buy mangosteen, three or four pounds of them every day, and I open them up in the van and the crew, and we suck them down because they're the greatest fruit in the whole world.
And you see people wandering around with these durians that smell and taste like somebody's feet. It's awful. Andrew, let me ask you something. Is it that you do not have a gag reflex? Because you never get sick when you eat this stuff, and it's disgusting. Well, there's a couple issues. Let's just talk about that for a second. There's a couple real-life issues involved. One. 95% of your gag reflex is nurture and not nature. We're taught at a very early age that the smell of putrefied food is something that shouldn't be eaten. This is our first test with our nose that something isn't quite right. And so we're taught in the West not to eat it. However, whether it's stink heads in Alaska, which is rotten salmon heads that are buried in the rest, Oh, come on, man. Haccarl in Iceland or stinky tofu in Taiwan, putrefied foods are served all around the world, and usually they're let to rot to the point where the bad bacteria is killed off by the good, and they're safe to eat. And in fact, like yogurt that has a live active culture, some of them, like stinky tofu or hacarl, are very good for you to eat. They supply some very necessary bacterias that can't be found otherwise. Andrew. Once you get past the pejorative aspect of the smell and the taste,
you start to get turned on to the excitement of eating these foods. It's almost like doing drugs. I mean, you just can't wait for the thrill of eating it. Wait a minute, Andrew. Hang on a minute. Now, I got a real, this is a real question for you. I know that a lot of people must ask this rhetorically, but I'm asking it genuinely. How is it that if, as human beings, we are turned off by that foul odor, by an instinct, I believe, that was put in us by God, How is it that people ever, for the very first time, gave it a shot? How did that happen? Yeah, you know, it's an interesting thing, and I had the chance to talk to a guy in Iceland about that thing. The Greenlandic shark is poisonous because of this uremic acid that's in the flesh. You can't eat it fresh. And they used to leave them on the beach so that when marauding bands of Vikings tried to take over their land, they'd get onto the beach, they'd be starving, they'd eat the bad fish, and they'd die. Somewhere along the line... Someone was hungry enough that he ate the rotten version of the stuff that had been sitting around for a couple weeks and he didn't die. And they found out that they would rather eat that fish in the middle of wintertime than starve to death. It's kind of like, you know, you're out in the lifeboat and, you know, Bobby, Billy, and Sandy are all standing around. Bobby and Billy, you know, Sandy, you know, slips off into the sweet night and Bobby and Billy say, you know, cultural taboo, but we want to live.
You know, I think that some of these things are born out of necessity, much the same way that, you know, people wonder about how someone ate the first oyster and they imagine that birds dropping them onto rocks and then eating them. They were hungry enough where they wanted to see what the birds were eating. The birds didn't die and they ate them. A lot of times there's historical precedent for it. I will tell you that the nice thing about being a 21st century human being is that you get to travel around the world and eat foods knowing that other humans have eaten them and they're still safe. Imagine telling a Kalahari Bushman that we take milk, let it rot, dry it into squares, and call it cheese. He would laugh at you. You know, 25% of a hot dog is unmentionable. People don't like it when I'm in a Filipino jungle market and I'm eating pig's ears and pig's tails. And I'm like, look, 25% of your hot dog is pig's ears and pig's tails. Come on. Yeah, but hot dogs taste really good with mustard and onions. Yeah, but dude, let me tell you something. When you're in a jungle market in Thailand and somebody gives you a crispy roasted pig's tail and you eat it for the first time when it's done right, you are blown away. It is so good. Well, let me ask you then. Where in the world would you say has been the grossest food? Where in the world? Oh, without a doubt.
parts of Southeast Asia, without a doubt. But here's the thing. You have to have peace of mind when you're eating all day in these markets. So as long as I carry, as long as I have my Pepto-Bismol with me, and my jibbles in my pocket, I am A-OK. Andrew Zimmern hosts Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel. Two real quick questions for you. First, the single most foul food on the planet is? Stinky tofu in Taiwan. Oh, I saw that episode. What is it? A 14-day-old hard tofu that's been kept in a putrefied sludge that is just absolutely horrific. Okay, that's the first question. And the second question is, I want to know if you have any advice for Boston Rob. So far, he's eaten, you know, since we've only been doing this a few weeks, he's eaten balut, he's eaten durian, he's eaten mudfish. Yep. Today, he is eating what they call thousand-year-old, or thousand-year egg. Yeah, that may be the one that gets them. That one's a texture issue. Oh, no. Don't tell me that. They also say, Andrew, it's got a strong aroma. Oh. Just get over that glassy yellow yolk. Oh, no. I don't want it. Here is a clip of Andrew Zimmern eating coconut tree giant grub cut 41. What in the name of everything that totally are these guys? We call this thing quarks.
You can find it in fallen trees. And you see some of our natives would eat this one. They just take off the head. Cheers. How does it taste? I don't know what those things ate. But they didn't digest it very well. I don't know. We must have gotten disconnected. Apparently he's... He sounded like he was feeling good in the neighborhood on that one. That's new at Applebee's. It's grub worm. When we come back, Boston Rob is going to do Bizarre Foods. We will be taking a trip. Have the thousand year egg. He just freaked me out, man. I got the biggest smile on my face to hear you and the gang. 5-3. Film for video camera.

It's been a very tough ride in our freeways again this morning, unfortunately. Especially this 805 northbound, that is backed up here.
Well south of Chula Vista, pretty much, all the way into Mission Valley. And this is all due to a bad motorcycle crash near the 8th freeway that caused that whole backup. A traffic alert in effect advising you to avoid it. Northbound 5 taking a hit as people use that as an alternative. Heavy out of Chula Vista as well through National City. Then again, now, as you approach the 15 connector, that slows into downtown S-Curve. More traffic here out of pretty much Old Town, actually, past the airport, Old Town, into Mission Bay. West 94, slow and go from Lemon Grove Avenue now, all the way to the 805. From the 15th downtown. The West 8th freeway this morning is also very busy from Spring Street. It's pretty solid all the way to Mission Center Road. South 15. Backed up from before El Norte Parkway through West Candido Ranch. Bernardo. Then again through Poway. One more time out of Scripps Ranch down towards Miramar. The coaster rides southbound 5. Taking a hit as well from La Costa bumper to bumper down towards the racetrack in Del Mar. And westbound 56. Just slow and go from Black Mountain Road. Pretty solid all the way to the 5 freeway. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Well, Robbins Brothers is the world's biggest engagement ring store. I'm a cup of tea. I really should have a talk with her about that, Ash. She hates everything about me. Welcome back to the show. I know. No. I can't do it. Oh, yeah. I don't know. It's 819. I try to ignore this bit thinking it'll go away. Oh, my God. But it won't. Right now, we are in the studio and we are looking outside. We are looking outside through the glass window at our promotions department and Boston Rob. Because we are about to do Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. Uh-oh. Today.
The Thousand Year Egg. Origin, China. Oh. Boston Rob, are you there? It's Chinese. Yeah, I'm here. Hi, guys. Rob is holding his cell phone and he is looking at a plate that has scattered around the edges of the plate what looks to be putrefied, rubbery, brown and yellowish. Wow. Kind of looks like hard-boiled egg. I'm going to give you the actual description of... I've never seen anything like it. Of the Thousand Year Egg. Thousand Year Egg, also known as Preserved Egg. Hundred Year Egg and Century Egg is a Chinese cuisine ingredient made by preserving duck, chicken, or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, lime, and rice straw for several weeks to several months. Why?
Because, Skye, when you do, the yolk of the egg is aged to a pale and dark green color. Oh, my God. While the egg white becomes dark brown and transparent like cola. That's a good description. That is exactly what it looks like. The yolk is creamy with a strong aroma. I don't mean to interrupt, but I can't hear you at all. That Asian bagpipe is so... loud in my ear right now. How's that? Much better? Yeah, yeah, so much better. I couldn't hear what you were saying. The egg white has a gelatinous texture similar to cooked egg white. No, no, hold on, hold on. Similar to cooked egg white? Let me finish. Calm down, guys. Let me finish. Okay. Some eggs have patterns near the surface of the egg white which are likened to pine branches.
The egg is considered a delicacy in the West, but is quite common in the far, far, far East. Very far. What are your observations of this thousand-year egg, Rob? Dude. Oh, man. Okay. Well, that egg white thing that you were talking about, it looks like someone made, like, a jello from, like, a nutmeg or cinnamon. It almost looks like an opened fig. If you've ever had a fig. It kind of looks like a sliced open fig. Good call. Fig that, dude. It does not look like an open fig. It does. The middle of this looks like a rotted, like really poisonous mushroom. Like where the yolk is. Like that. It goes from yellow to like mold color. To mold color. And then back to like a yellow tint. Now, does it smell bad? Because it says that sometimes it has a foul odor. But does this one or no?
No, this is the thing. I, like, picked it up, and when you pick it up, it's like, you know when you're a little kid and you get those rubber bouncy balls? Yeah. It feels like a really squishy one of those. Whoa. No odor or odor? There was no odor, but the second I smelled my fingers. Oh, dude. It was horrible. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. Well, yeah, they're saying the texture is the real tough part about it. Textures would get you. Come on, Rob. It's just an egg. Dude, I now have, like, a complex with eggs. I really do. Do we have any mudfish left? All right, let's have Rob do this. You got to pop the whole thing in. Rob is now going to put a thousand-year egg in his mouth. Oh, no. I don't know if I can watch this one. He's then going to chew it, and he's going to taste it, swallow it, and describe its name. His eyes are watering already. Yeah, we usually sound like, talk me a little bit through this. Don't just say, pop the whole thing in your mouth. He is trembling, by the way. Every week we do this, he trembles. He trembles. His eyes water, and his eyes are red right now. He's looking. Oh, my God. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Hang on. Is that the deal? Hang on. I got to describe this. Imagine a guy that is standing on like a hundred foot diving board.
And the water down below is ice cold. Oh, yeah. That's the look that he has every week. His left hand is on his head, cupping the dome of his head. His right hand. I need a push. Yeah, that's what he, you can tell. I need a push right now. It's like, I can't do this on my own. The visual is a young kid psyching himself out. Oh, yeah. Eddie, do you have any words of encouragement? Yeah, Eddie. Talk to me. Here's the deal. It's a hard-boiled egg. Okay. Those are eaten all the time. It's no big deal. You're eating an egg. It's an egg. It's not like you're eating. There's no duck embryo in there. Right. You know, you're fine. Dude, this is easy. Then, Eddie, why did I just get the chills? I don't. Because you're looking at it. Close your eyes and pop it. Now he's looking mad. He does this. He'll go through a process. First, he's psyching out. Now he looks mad. He gets mad. Here he goes. He's picking it up. I'm going to throw it. Here we go. Here we go. Don't do it. In his mouth. It's in his mouth. He's chewing.
Oh, he just got the gas. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, here it comes. Oh, it popped out. Some of it popped out. Get it back in your mouth. Get it back in your mouth. Oh, look at that. It's on his hand. Oh, I almost threw up. I'm going to throw up. Oh, it's all good, man. Chew it and get it down. Oh, no. Oh, he has stink face. Like, ooh, that stinks. Oh, he's spitting. Now he's spitting. Oh, he's spitting twice. I just ate so much of it. That texture was like pudding. Oh, the texture was like pudding. I wish it was pudding. Another one. Would you like that in a sandwich? Rob, bacon with it? What? Would you like it with bacon? No. Century egg salad sandwich? Perhaps. Hey, Rob. What? Good news is you're going to be burping that pretty soon. Oh! He'll slip into something more comfortable. Dude, I don't feel good. It's Mikey. On a Rock 105.3. Set sale. Up to 2,000 vehicles from San Diego's best dealers. Benny Frost.

No. Probably good. Oh, my God. It was nuts. Hey, dude, yeah. Somebody's got to tell you about your goatee. You got stuff in your goatee. I came up hard-boiled egg, which I find disgusting anyways. But imagine, like, hard-boiled egg pudding somehow. Like, that middle was exactly like pudding. Hey, you got a little something. Got a little something. I think you should have another one. There's a little... Should do another one right now. I can't do... I like... Eddie thinks... Eddie thinks she should have... Eddie thinks she should have another one. Oh, no. Just one. Are you high? He keeps spitting. No, like, dude. Please, for ratings. I don't know if I can do this. One more. Just bite one in half. Bite one in half. Oh, there you go. Oh, no. I'll bite it in half, but that middle joke thing, dude, like... I want to state for the record, I do not want to compromise his health. This is eaten by... This is sold in Asian markets. It's a delicacy. Oh, man. Oh, my God. I don't think it's going to happen. Dude, just try to think all those times you didn't do stunts on the show. What? No, that's all I'm saying. That's not hyping me up for this. And I love...
I love how Zeth is kicking back with a smile on his face eating a cookie right now. Oh, that's not cool. I want a cookie right now. Think of it like it's a cookie. This all started with an accident involving a motorcycle near the eight freeways out of the way. But, man, things are still pretty tough from 4 8th Street all the way into the valley. Then again, coming up the hill from the 163 to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Westbound 94, that's not too bad, approaching the 805 now, but still heavy from the 15 in the downtown. When you're thinking about wireless companies, why would you do any wireless company that is not going to offer you free text messaging and free picture messaging? If you were standing outside when all this stuff was going on with Rob, you could have taken pictures of that and sent it to your friends for free. Yeah, I mean, you should be texting your friends right now saying that that is going to be on the website later and you need to check this out. That's crazy. Speaking of, let's do this. What? We have the P1 text army.
And so what we're going to do is we're going to get that video up on the website ASAP of Boston Rob eating that thousand year egg. And then we're going to send out a blast via text message to everybody that's in the P1 text army, which by the way, we don't text you every day. Sometimes we text you once a week, sometimes twice a week. We only text you when something's heavy and you got to see it. And so if you're not in the text army. Text Mikey, M-I-K-E-Y to 35253 and you can get in the P1 text army. Now, if you're a cricket person, it's not going to cost you to text because all the texts are free. Right. If you're everybody else, standard text message rates apply. But we're going to send out a blast that has a link on your cell phone. Boop. You could directly link and watch that. Oh. Man. Did that hurt? Yes. Rock 105.3. No, it was that bad. Eddie keeps saying to Rob, Rob's in the studio, and he's scarfing down cookies, trying to get the taste out of his mouth, and Eddie keeps going, wasn't that bad, right? And Rob has not answered him one time. And Eddie just keeps going, it wasn't that bad, huh? Hey, Rob, it wasn't that bad, right, Rob? Hey, Rob. He's pale. Yeah. He's very, like, uh... He looks weak. His face is, like, sunken in. Yeah. Well, no, this is what he normally looks like. Oh, yeah. Oh, right. He's insane. Yeah, how is that different from any other time? Like he looks like, well, Nicole Richie. Yeah. He's very Auschwitz. But thinner. I don't have an eating disorder. No, no, we were talking about Rob, Nicole. I don't have an eating disorder. Are you asking me if you could have a Diet Coke? Yes, you can have it. So downtrodden. So downtrodden. A mini-mini.
837. I love Thursdays. The woman convicted of poisoning her Marine husband is asking for a new trial alleging juror misconduct. Well, it looks like it could happen. A-Rod is talking to the Steinbrenners. He could remain a Yankee. Eddie, you gotta talk me through this thing with this foods deal because for me, it's Shauna's tone-deaf karaoke. It makes me so uncomfortable. But tell me, listeners like it, right? Dude, I get probably 10 emails a day of people suggesting foods for Rob to eat. And I think if they had to do it, yeah, they would hate it. But listening to this guy eat those foods is so crazy. I'm starting to burp now. It's so crazy, man. I think it's a hit with listeners for sure. I think so too, man. It's just so hard for me. Well, because we're here and we have to watch it. It is. Tough to look at. Dude. A thousand year old egg. My stomach. That is tough. It looks like a fig. We're working on getting this on the website. It will be on that website momentarily. The website, by the way, is mikeyshow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W dot com. And the second the video is up, I'm going to let everybody know. Yeah. So you can go to the website. You have to watch it. And take a look at the video. Yeah.
Do you have any kind of... Oh! I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Rob! Dude. I just had a thousand-year-old egg. I had a thousand-year-old burp for it. Oh, my God. You're such a wimp. That was so gross. Seth, do you have any kind of ETA on when this thing is going to be available? Smash told me that as long as it takes to export, that's how long it is. Okay. We're going to get this thing on the websites very soon. Oh, my gosh. Mikey Show, hello. Cheers out there. Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I visited Taiwan, and we stayed at a really nice hotel. You know those continental breakfasts, you know, where you get your eggs and your sausage and everything? They have those thousand-year-old eggs right next to all the, like, good food. Oh. They like it there. Did you eat one? No way. My buddy was, like, totally grossed out because he doesn't even eat Chinese food, and I brought him out the... China. It was really funny. Oh, my God. It's disgusting. He deserves to die. He does. Mikey Show. So good. Yellow. Hey, Mikey Show. Yeah, go ahead. What's up, Ding? Hey, I just wanted to say that every time you guys have Bizarre Foods with Boss and Rob, you guys are contributing to his bulimia. That's true. Yeah, because he keeps throwing up. That's true.
I'm sorry. That's the last one. It isn't. No way. Mikey Show. Hey, this is P1 Blaine. I wanted to find out when the P1 Poker Tournament is again. Eddie. That's the one that you're playing in, right? No, that's not the P1 Poker Tournament. Oh, oh, oh. I thought you were talking about... Yeah, the thing that Eddie's playing... We have a... There's a... It's the SoCal Pre-Circuit Showdown Texas Hold'em Tournament at Harrah's. Ring Con, that's the 26th through the 29th. But that's not the P1 poker tournament. This is the one that Harris is putting on and one where you can win a seat at the World Series of Poker circuit event. I thought that's what you were talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, go ahead. It's cool, man. Mikey Show. Hello. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Hey, I just want to say, you know what? B-Rob's my hero. That guy toughs it out. I'm a chef. I know what rotten food can be like. He did it, man.
It's a delicacy. A delicacy. You know what's delicate in my psyche when we do that? I'm mentally scarred from that one. I am. And no more eggs for me. I thought you said no more eggs. I thought you said no more burps. Please turn your mic off. Stay at home dad is on the line. Come in here and take a whiff. What's going on? Mikey. So this was a good stunt because as he was going to eat that, I was opening up a container of egg salad to make my sandwich this morning. Thank you. Oh, bad timing. Thank you. Oh, I had to fight through it. Bad timing. Thank you. Think about it when you bite into your sandwich, bro. You ruined this guy's lunch, man. I thought I was eating thousand-year-old egg sandwich. A little salt and pepper on that, bad boy. You'd be fine. Oh, yeah. Oh, no. I didn't do that.
Come on, Scott. You like yard-boiled eggs. No, thank you. I did. I did until today. What about thousand-year-old eggnog? Scott, with a thousand-year-old egg, how much? What? Just the egg or eggnog? A thousand-year-old egg. What he ate. What he ate. How much? Half of one. How much? Half of one. How much? I don't think... I don't want your input. I want to know what Skye's price is. I'm sorry. Well, I don't want you talking her into anything, and I don't want you talking her out of anything. Okay. Did she get a good look at it? Yes. Okay. Because texture is a big issue for me. It's kind of the main issue for me when it comes to food is texture. Rob says, well, congratulations. Okay, let's discuss. Half of one. Half of one. Half of one. Well, because like on fear factor, if you throw something up, you still get to win if you like eat it. You know what I mean? Or am I allowed to throw it up? You're allowed to throw it up, but I need it to be down for three seconds. Okay. You need to show me your mouth. You need to go and show me the inside of your mouth that it's gone and it's got to remain gone and cannot revisit us for at least three seconds.
Okay, well, I'm trying to work. It's got to do one tour of duty. Okay, I'm trying to work a number in my head. I know that $5,000 is enough. It is? Yeah, $5,000. Well, because you said half of one. And I only have to keep it down for, you know, quite a couple seconds. But I'm trying to work my way down, and how low would I go? Yeah, because I'm trying to imagine 20s bundled up. all crisp with those wrappers, and I present that in front of you and say that's $4,500, and I think you're doing it. Oh, definitely. $1,000? That's a lot of dough. A bite of food? It is. But I fear, like Rob, that it will be the end of eating eggs for me for the rest of my life. You know what I mean? By the way, while you think about it, by the way, it was around this time, This is actually next hour, but that we were talking about Zeth yesterday. He's dating this girl, Alice. We call her Alice. Are they dating? No. I don't think they are. Hang on a minute. Hang it out. Yeah. We had to give her another name, so we call her Alice. Alice works on the Jeff and Jer show. Alice. Helper boy Alice? Okay. It's not helper boy Alice. It's a girl. Oh, good. It's a girl that works on the Jeff and Jer show. Wow. And he...
has had interest in her, and it seems her him, but there was certainly nothing official, and they were just, they were hanging, finger quotes, hanging out, okay? Well, she forgot her cell phone, the possession of someone that Ashley knows, and so Ashley returned the cell phone to Alice, went to her home, and observed a male sitting on the couch with Alice. She let Zeth know, And Zeth has an update. He now knows who the fellow was. Oh, good. Who was the guy on Alice's couch, Zeth? Her new boyfriend. Oh, wait. I wasn't expecting that. Well, that clears that up. Very, very, very romantic. Friend. Oh, no. How did you find out that it was her new boyfriend? Well, Ashley told me.
That's not true. That's not true? Wait. Why would he lie? Why are you lying? What is going on then? None of that is true. Are you lying to me? No. Did Ashley tell you that? No. Well, I saw it on her computer when she wasn't there. Oh. Well, then Ashley did not tell you that. No. I don't. What, Ashley? He read her private IMs, it sounds like. Oh, no. The thing about Zethi. Is that he... Zethi's not condescending. Zethi is not condescending. Not at all. No. It's an empowering name. It's an empowering name. It makes a man feel masculine and powerful. Look at his face! Is he'll take something and then, you know, in his mind it's something, but in reality it's something else. Now, are you talking about the relationship with Alice or... In general, past... And prior things that he said, like they were never dating and she does not have a boyfriend. But in Zest's mind, she does. You know what I mean? Oh, so she actually does not have a boyfriend. She does not have a boyfriend. What the hell? So I don't know why he got that impression. I don't know why he's saying that. Do you know, Ashley, that he was reading your private IMs? I didn't know. Until he just said it? No, I knew yesterday when he told me that he saw it. So what did he see to give him the impression that this is a boyfriend? Yeah.
It said something along the lines. Did he see an IM conversation between you and Alice? No, just a straight IM sent from her to me. To you. It was like a hey, and this was like after the show, and he came into my studio. What did it say? It said something along the lines of, ooh, like, hey mama, ooh, I forgot to tell you about who that boy was on my couch the other night. I kind of have a crush on him. Tell you about it later. And he turned that into, that's her new boyfriend? Boyfriend. Is that what you read? No. What did you read? Yeah, you got to tell the story now. Well, basically the same gist of what she said, except it was, he's my new man. Not, I kind of have a crush on him. It's, he's my new man. I think it was like, I have a new boy that I like. Okay, here we go. I just really don't. Very confusing. Yeah. Did she say my new man? It was a one sentence. Did she say my new man?
No, I don't recall that. Like, genuinely. I recall something along the lines of, I forgot to tell you about who that guy is on the couch. I kind of like him. That's what I recall. I can get the exact... Instant message? Well, I can, like, ask her exactly what she IM'd me yesterday. Please do. God. One of the two of them, though, Ashley or Zeph, is representing this story very differently. I suspect... It's Zeth. I agree with you. And I'm okay if Zeth has to believe that that's her boyfriend to get over this. False. Why do you say that, Rob? Because if that's what he wants to think in his mind to move on, then so be it. Let him see that. Either way, crush my man. It still hurts. Either way, crushed what? No, either way, if he saw the word crush or that's my man. Right. He's deciding. He's deciding. That she's got a boyfriend. She's moved on. He should. That's fine, but the deal is that he told me this, and I thought, oh, this will make some good radio. But as I'm finding out, it may not be anything at all. That makes it boring if she doesn't really have a boyfriend. That was scandalous, man. Like, hey, I found out who that guy was on the couch. It's her husband. It's her boyfriend. I believe that. You do? Just throwing it out there. You're saying that you believe that the way she represented herself is that it really is...
Her new boyfriend. Yeah. She's writing back. She's writing back right now. 100%. It must say, typing. It must say, Alice is typing. She wrote, I know you guys are talking about me, so that's good. Come on, get to it. Alice. It says, it is typing, dot, dot, dot. Alice. And what did you ask her, Ash? I said, oh, wait, she wrote back. Okay, well, I asked her, I said, remember when you IM'd me yesterday about the guy on your couch? Exactly what did you type me? And she said, I said that I wanted to tell you about this new guy that I've been seeing. Yeah, that doesn't mean a boyfriend. Not at all. Well, kind of though. What do you mean? Well, if they're seeing each other, that's dating and technically... It's kind of like what... What if they're hanging out like Zeth was? Zeth and her. And the thing is, is I know her and that is...
probably what they're doing. Like, it's no big deal. They're hanging out. So she's seeing this guy and Zeth? Well, but she's not seeing anybody. She's not seeing Zeth. I don't think she's seeing Zeth. And that's the thing. She's not seeing Zeth. Wait a minute. She was never seeing Zeth. Where's Zed? Zed's dead, baby. Oh, no. That clears it up. She was never seeing my friend Zeth. They were never dating like that. Have you even been on a date? I have a question. I have a question, Seth. Oh, my God. Seth, I have a question. What's going on? What's up, Mike? My question is, have you and Alice kissed? Yes. Then, come on. Then that means, yeah, they, if, yeah, they have. It was more than friends. Yeah, it was more than friends. Oh, yeah. Come on, Ash. They were, they're kissy buddies, then. I don't, like, I don't, I'm not saying that they, like, weren't, all I'm saying is that they were hanging out. Yeah. That's it. Yeah, that's dating. And she's hanging out with you. If you hang out with somebody and you're kissing them, then that's dating. But to me, there's a huge difference between that and having a boyfriend. Yeah, yeah. So that's all I'm saying. I agree. That's it. But for sure you're dating. But there's a huge difference than that. Aren't you, Eddie? I don't think so. Have you ever gone out with this girl and paid for something for her? Oh, good question. Yes. Yeah, that's right. Just you two.
not a group situation, then I say you have been dating. Yeah. They're kissing, they're going out to dinners, and he's picking up the tab. That means that you're dating. I have to play devil's advocate here. Here we go. I have to play devil's advocate. Go ahead. Because I have to back up my girl because she's my friend too. Why do you want Zeth to feel like crap? I don't want Zeth to feel like crap. Is your girl Zeth? I want to hear what your girl is saying. I do not want the facts to be at all construed. Please. What does your girl say? Misconstrued. We're actually trying to construe the facts. I've had Iris construe before. It's delicious. That is good. I like lamb construe. She's IMing me right now and saying what I'm about to say. Go ahead. She has told him from the get-go the deal. And what's the deal? Yeah, what is it? That she's been nothing but honest with him. She's told him from the get-go that she likes him. She likes hanging out with him.
But she does not want a boyfriend, and she does not want anything exclusive, and she's not looking for that, but she enjoys his company, and she likes to hang out with him. She told him that from the get-go. Let me translate. Okay. I'm going to translate. Okay. What that means is, I think you're good-looking. I'm attracted to you physically. I'd like to mess around with you physically. You don't present me with enough of a challenge to be in a relationship with you. Guys that I'm in relationships with, they challenge me either emotionally or mentally or whatever. Oh, Sky, you believe it may be an issue of money. I didn't say anything. Well, what is that? I had an itch in my fingers. That could be it. I had itchy fingers. That could be it. Hey, listen. A lot of women, they say, I'm also, I think that you're good looking. I'm attracted to you physically. I would like to hook up with you physically, but.
I want a guy that's got more going on for him. Offer security. Offer security, money-wise, whatever. Or that not falls for the old football trick every single time where he goes to kick it. That was Charlie Brown. Dude, you confuse him with Charlie Brown. I'm so stupid. I'm sorry. That's a different guy. Sorry, Seth. Idiot! But I think that's probably a pretty good translation, right? Yes. Of what she's saying. I hear that. It's fair. It could be that. It's especially fair if she was open about it from the very beginning. Oh, definitely. I'll tell you what, though. What? Zeth, from an older guy to a younger guy, as soon as a girl says that to you, you have to know the deal and you have to make the decision in your head, is this somebody that I could potentially have feelings for? Because if it is, Run. Don't walk. Run. Run. And that's what I told him. Flirt with her best friend. Wait. Hold on. Hold on. She wants a challenge. The voice of reason. Why not a sister? If she's got a sister, which I don't think she does, but if she does, you start flirting with her. Trust me.
She'll want to be married to you in like a week, dude. Does she have a close brother? Oh, wait. Sean. You know what, though, Sky? What? I don't think it really is about like the whole, does this guy, you know, have money? Because look at Rob. Rob doesn't make any money, but chicks love that guy. In fact, I bet Alice would go for Rob, you know. If he was available and he was interested, I bet she'd go for a guy like Rob. As a serious boyfriend? Absolutely. Look at who's going out with him now. I don't know. I mean, I can't really speak to it. You are correct. I am correct? Yes. Well, yeah, part of it is my attitude. I know this girl very well. I've known her for now. You know why? So you are correct. You know why? The challenge. He's dangerous. Rob's dangerous. She likes the bad boys. She's not dangerous. She's a lot like me. She likes the bad boys. She likes the losers. She likes the dicks. Yeah, bad choices. Like the ass, the butt. The jerks. The jerks. I was just saying, I'm sorry. I just totally spazzed out. I think Rob can hear you.

Does it have to be so obvious that he's singing? All right, it's 9-10. A new program was announced yesterday that'll give career assistance to military spouses. Hey, are you looking to pick up a quarterback fantasy footballer as well? The Dolphins, they're going to start rookie quarterback John Beck. There you go. What an option. Man, I don't want to lose Cleo Lemon. Okay, now this could be pretty scandalous. Apparently, Marie Osmond, who's on this season's Dancing with the Stars, went on Larry King last night. She recently lost her father. She went on Larry King last night. And it's kind of weird. She's been doing a media tour regarding the loss of her father.
Is that what the tour is about? It's not like about Dancing with the Stars? Well, no. I mean, since her father died, her and her siblings went on Oprah to talk about loss and grieving the father and then Larry King, which is kind of weird, but okay. That's the purpose of the visits? Of the interviews? Yeah, that's my impression. That's your impression or that's the truth? Well, I don't know. I mean, there was no press release sent out saying Marie Osmond is doing a death tour. Here's what I asked. But she wasn't doing... interviews like on this scale prior to her father's death and everything since then has involved her siblings and has revolved around the loss of her father because that's kind of ghoulish if that's the deal or she's yeah it's morbid i'm just wondering if she's doing interviews for dancing with the stars and it's obviously a hot topic so they ask her about it i don't know well anyway she goes on larry king live her 16 year old son has apparently just been admitted to rehab. She hasn't made this announcement. In fact, from what I understand, she's been trying to keep it private. But Larry King hits her with it. Cut 22. And I know that Michael is in rehab. Yes. How did you know that? I was told. And I think it's important that people know how you deal with it. She did not sound happy with that. Well...
You know, it's your kid. You love them. Oh, of course. Maybe you don't want to make it tough for your kid. Well, you always try to protect your kids. Yeah. Yeah. You don't want people bugging your kid. So you're trying to keep it private. Thanks, Larry. That's right. Wow. Cut 23. How are you dealing with it? This last week with my dad passing was hard for many reasons. That was one of them. My son was put into a rehab. Pause. It's really hard. But it's a reality, Larry. Pause. Now, this is one of those situations because Skye and I debate often about making the announcements from the celebrities that they're pregnant. And Skye says, hey, listen, it's their business. Right. And I'm like, when they got a three trimester belly sticking out there, give me a break when it's obvious that they're pregnant. However, this one I go, well, I don't know that it's necessarily obvious that her kid's in rehab. And how did he find that out?
How did he find out? He's not giving it up, by the way. Unpause. It's really hard. But it's a reality, Larry. 75%, like you said, of kids under age 18 are dealing with this. It's affecting every single family in our country. They're having these, they're called farm... where they go and steal medicines out of their parents' drug cabinet. And they dump them in a bowl and they just take them until they pass out. My son didn't do that. But he's dealing with a lot of issues. I don't know that I feel comfortable talking for him. I think he'll have to deal with that. But I will say this. My son is amazing. He's dealing with a lot. He's one of my kids. He's dealing with adoption issues, all kinds of things right now. He was adopted. Yeah, I think he was. He is the most amazing kid. How are you dealing with that? You can see how I'm dealing with it. It's been a hard week. It's been a hard week. Well, actually, Larry, I had been dealing with it very privately. That's how I'll answer that question. How am I dealing with it? Well, up until this very moment, okay, you know, like hanging in there.
privately I'd been dealing with it. But, hey, Larry, I know this is an unusual thing, you know, for the interviewee to turn into the interviewer, but I've got a couple of questions for you, Larry. That a underage person is in rehab live on television to his mother. How are you feeling right now at this very moment? Yeah. I feel great. Oh. Never felt better. You don't sound great. I feel good. I have two questions. Go ahead, Eddie. Maybe I misunderstood the clip. Yeah. But did she say that 75% of kids under 18 are dealing with substance abuse issues? I don't know. 75%? I had checked out. That's what she said. And then the other thing she said is something about the kid being adopted. Right. And she said, I don't know if he was adopted. Yeah, I think she was trying to be sarcastic.
Because she said he's dealing with adoption issues. And then Larry goes, oh, he's adopted. Well, duh. I mean, you know, give me a break. His mother just said he's dealing with adoption issues. And so I think that's where. So it was a joke. That's the way I interpret it. Weird time for a joke. Yeah. You mean on Larry's part? No, on her part. She goes, I think he's adopted. No, she said, I don't know. Or I don't know. He's adopted. I'm so confused. Obviously, you do know. I also found out that he's got a small one. Is that the deal? We have photographic evidence. Yeah. I've talked to some of the people that have been in the locker room with him that says that, you know, it's not that great. What do you think, Marie? Oh, man. That's weird. So, I mean, do we feel like Larry crossed the line? I think it's kind of... Inappropriate, you know? That's not right. I think it's sad. Because if this was a 16-year-old celebrity, like, I don't think, you know, this discussion would be, you know, we wouldn't be having this discussion. You know why, though? Because we'd know. We'd know. Well, yeah, but somebody would have to be the first person to out that 16-year-old celebrity. Well, they're followed. You know what I mean? Paparazzi follows celebrities. It's kind of like this. It's kind of like this. A lot of people didn't know that there was somebody named Amy Osborne.
In fact, when I'm saying the name Amy Osbourne right now, a lot of you are like, Amy Osbourne? Who's that? And the reason that you're saying that is because there was one Osbourne who didn't want to be on the TV show The Osbournes. Now, there was two that really wanted to be on a TV show called The Osbournes, and that was Jack and Kelly Osbourne. Now, you know how you recognize their names right now? It's because they wanted it that way. I realize they're kids and everything, but they wanted it that way. And their parents were comfortable with them being celebrities. So the reason that you don't know the name Amy Osborne is because she said, you know what, me, not so much. I don't want to be known. I don't want to be on this TV show. And this child of Marie Osmond, he's not a celebrity. I don't even know his name. Right. So it's a person who makes a choice to make their life public by being a celebrity versus somebody who's just kind of a victim of having a celebrity parent like this kid. Jake, at some time, may have to hear some kid say to him, your old man's on the radio and he's a this and that and blah, blah, blah. And he may come home real bummed out. And I'm going to have to say to him, hey, kid, I'm real sorry that happened to you. This is what your pop does for a living.
You know, and I'm really curious. I wonder how Larry King got the information. Yeah. But aside from getting the information, like, saying it, that's a trip, man. Yeah, and I wonder what that conversation was like when he was given that piece of information. Was there, even for a second, a conversation of, you know what, maybe it's inappropriate for us to, you know, blindside her with this? Or was that conversation never even had? Well, check this out. He says on the clip, he goes, I think it's really important that people know how you're dealing with it. Okay, here's my question for you, Larry. Why didn't you say that to her right before you went on the air and said, I think it's really important that people know about this, Marie, but just in the spirit of fairness, is it okay if I bring that up on the air? What do you think she would have said, Larry? Now, this should be good, too. Gordon Ramsay, who no one knew a year ago. Eddie's shaking his head. Eddie, why are you shaking? What is he? What is it? You know I love Gordon Ramsay. Yeah, yeah. I love the Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC. Uh-huh. And I like Hell's Kitchen. Yeah. But I'm really starting to dislike Kitchen Nightmares on Fox. Really? And last night's episode was so over the top and so faked. A lot of it was faked that I'm just... And obviously faked. Yeah, yeah. And I mean, I'm trying to enjoy it just for the entertainment sake of it. Mm-hmm. But, like...
I don't know. I'm starting to get out on it. It just bums me out. What do you think of Gordon Ramsay? Him personally? Yeah. I think that a lot of it is a put on. I mean, he amps everything up for the show. And I actually think he has a decent heart. Because when you watch the BBC version of The Kitchen Nightmares, it's like he really does care about some of these people and wants to teach them. But, you know, I think he is, you know, a bit of a bastard. Tough love it is. Tough love. So here he is. Regis tells him yesterday some food that he doesn't like. Cut 26. I don't like Brussels sprouts. See, I really don't like them. They're bitter. You haven't even tasted it yet. How can you say that? At least give me a chance to show you something different. I'm not going to like them. You're like an old granny. I'm not going to like them. I'm telling you. You sound like my grandma. You're like an old granny. See, Skye, there are other people that don't like it when you don't try stuff. Gordon Ramsay, he'd get mad at you. Yeah. Well, that's why I don't hang out with him. Skye, have you ever had Brussels sprouts? That's a no.
Are they the ones that look like... The ones? They look like tiny little artichokes? No, they look like tiny little cabbages. Yeah, like little heads of lettuce. Oh, yeah. Okay, that's what I was thinking. Yeah, I've never had that. You've never had Brussels sprouts? He's speaking for me. Yeah, not... I mean, maybe when I was real little and my mom forced them on me, but no, not that I can recollect. Oh, thank you. Good. The Skiki one called in yesterday and he goes, you guys should do normal foods with Skye. No. There's so many things that she's never had. It's a waste of time, please. What have you never had? What have you never had? I don't know. What is a normal food that you've never had before? I don't know. I mean, you'll have to ask me. And he said, what about gorgonzola cheese? And she said, that will never happen. No, he said blue cheese. Blue cheese. I want to vomit all over his face. We'll try gorgonzola. She's had gorgonzola and loved it. It wasn't that bad when it was a minimal amount with some pasta. It wasn't a minimal amount. It was. It was not. It was, too. Have you ever had pecan pie? The guy from Nicolosi's called in and said it was a lot of, I mean, predominantly gorgonzola cheese. Oh, yeah, that's right. He did. He did. The guy that made the dish that she tried called in. Skye, you hate pecan pie? Yes.
My husband's favorite. I hate it. Have you ever tried it? Yeah. What do you hate about it? Everything. Texture. It's sweet. I hate pecans. I hate that jelly filling. It's ridiculous. Oh, you mean sugar? And I don't care for pies in general. Neither does Rebecca. So the pie crust is out. They don't like pies? No. How do you not like pie? I don't like any pie. The three of them. Rebecca, Skye, and... Your wife, Debra, do not like pie. He hates pie. More for everyone else. Have you had cottage cheese? That's a no. Wow. I don't think so. Oh my gosh. Again, if I did, it was a long time ago. You would remember if you had cottage cheese. Holy cow. I know I don't like it. You guys. I know. It's a horrendous thing. We have to do normal food. No, I don't want to. I don't want to. No, I will not. There are plenty of foods in the world that I do enjoy, so leave me alone. There's like two. I'm getting all my nutrients. I'm fine.
Thanks for your concern. Do you like cranberry sauce? Out of the can. You do like cranberry sauce out of the can? Only out of the can. Have you tried it? Exactly. When is the last time you had cranberry sauce that was homemade? Like fresh. Three years ago, me and my husband made it at my mother-in-law's house. And you didn't like it? It wasn't horrible. I didn't dislike it, but it did not compare to in the can. Have you ever had green bean casserole? Is that the creamy one? It's the creamy one with the crispy onions on the top of it. Who has to say, like, is that? Like, she doesn't know anything about food. Because I love green beans. Like, I love green beans. She's never had it. But I've been scared of it because of the creamy, mushiness of it. There's another one. It's another one she hasn't had. That is my favorite thing. The most delicious thing ever. I think it's too creamy. Creamy? I think it's too creamy. See, that's such a strange statement because it's almost like saying, yep, sounds too yummy. No, I'm not a fan. Sounds way too delicious to me. Sounds too delicious. Sounds too sweet. Too creamy. One day, this is what I'd like to do, Eddie. No, leave me alone. Mine is fine. Everyone taught me that. Mine is fine. Stay out of my beeswax. She's not well right now. You guys, I'd like to get on the air, I'd like to get Sky,
And my wife. To try a couple of new things. We may be able to convince Skye. Could we convince Rebecca? Leave her alone. I don't know. She's not getting paid to go through this kind of crap. Her husband makes a living doing this kind of crap. Well leave her alone. This isn't her bag. She shouldn't be forced to. Leave her alone. It's a social experiment. You see. You guys can really like something. This is just a self-serving thing that you're doing right now because it brings you joy. Rubio's fish tacos. Brings you joy. It does. Perfect example. It brings me joy to see you like something. And it annoys the hell out of me. And my wife. I know. Leave us alone. But. Think of the. We're good people. You're bad. Have you ever tried lentil bean soup? You're bad. Lentil bean soup? Yeah. Is that the same? Neither have I. You've never had lentil beans? Have you ever had split pea soup? Yeah, there you go. Have you ever had split pea soup? Yeah, don't care for it. Tomato soup? What was the soup I used to like? Maybe it was lentil. Obviously, you've never had clam chowder. Oh, shut your dirty mouth. Tyler has a legitimate question. Tyler, what is your legitimate question? So good. Tyler? Yeah. What is your legitimate question? So they're naming off all these foods.
Does Skye just have a solid diet of ham, or does she not eat anything? Yes, sir. That's all it is. Honey baked. You figured it all out. Ham and ham soda. Yep, that's me. I like ham. She just likes ham. Go get some ham. Cream corn. Too creamy. Have you ever had it? Too creamy. Have you ever had it? No, too creamy. What does that mean? It means, Eddie, she's never had the following foods. Creamed corn. Yeah. Green bean casserole. Creamy. Split pea soup. I said I've had split pea soup. Applesauce. Oh, love applesauce. It's creamy. No, it is not. There is no cream in applesauce. Mint chocolate chip ice cream. But it's the same consistency. So, Sky, you don't have... But it's the over creamage that's a problem. So, you don't do... Skye, you don't do chicken Alfredo? No. You do not? No Alfredos. Have you ever had chicken Alfredo? Why? Hey, salty milk drinker, can you put it down over there? Man. Have I ever had chicken Alfredo? Yes. I had...
some sort of Alfredo pasta once. I don't know if there was chicken in it or not. This is amazing to me. Too creamy. Sometimes, I gotta tell you something. Sometimes, sometimes Skye is like exploring the forest and finding these, you know, treasures. You just learn something new. You're like, whoa! Whoa, there's a tree! Too creamy! It is. Too much creamage. Yeah. This thing I've ever heard in my life. What's your favorite texture then? Like the... Crunchy. Crunchy. Yes. Crunchy. Like pita chips. I could eat those to like die. Fritos. Fritos. Too salty. Thank you. A little too salty. I mean, I don't hate Fritos, but they're not like in the top, you know. You ever had like a toffee thing? Like those crunchy toffee candies? Yes. But for you... I enjoyed the cashew roca, not the almond roca. But for you, like, the worst is anything pureed. Mushy, creamy. What about pudding? Pudding snack. Okay. That's creamy. Okay. That's the essence of creamy. Skye, what about peanut butter? Enjoy... Well...
That's a yes. It's a tough one. Do you eat peanut butter with carrots? Yeah, but I won't admit it. She eats peanut butter with carrots. No, I like peanut butter. Creamier or crunchy? See, that's where I was going. See, I didn't know the question was, do I like it? Yes, I like it. I prefer the creamy over the crunchy. Which completely contradicts everything. Well, because the creamy is sweeter than the crunchy. I like ham. But there's no cream in peanut butter. There's no method to your madness. Eddie, am I okay on time? Yeah, you got a couple of minutes. Just a couple? Yeah. Please. Like, give me a number of minutes. Two minutes. Oh, gosh. No way. She's the best. Thank you. Because I want to explore, but that's like saying, well, you got two minutes to get in that pyramid and see what's in there. Say, no way, dude. I got tombs to explore. There's stuff. I got to dig around here. All right. Let's just. We got phone calls coming in about our girl Sky. Oh, people. Come on. P1 Josh. Hey, guys. How's it going? Good. I got a question for Murph. I was wondering if she says she doesn't like cream. Has she ever had cream cheese? Yes, I have. And I have, there's feelings on cream cheese. I enjoy regular cream cheese, but a very light amount of it. Like if I go somewhere and order a bagel and cream cheese, I'll say like very light, like spread it light, people.
But only the regular. The flavored cream cheeses are ridiculous. So you want the essence of it. Yes. But I don't want too much. Why? Because as your teeth sink into it, it'll gross you out as your teeth are sinking. Guys, every morning, Sky eats yogurt. Every morning. Like once a month, I eat yogurt. That's creamy. Cultures. Cultures. What? Because of the cultures. I don't really care for it, but I eat it for the cultures. What the hell is the culture? What is she talking about? There are live cultures in yogurt that are good for your digestive system. And they're also good for your female junk. You're an interesting gal. What is she talking about? You guys don't know that? Yes, we do. What's his name? Zimmerman was just talking about it when we had him on the air. Zimmerman? Who's Zimmerman? What's his name? Zimmerman? The limerick man? Oh, no. Don't give me the brakes, please. Come right back. Active cultures. You've never heard of active cultures in yogurt. That helps your vagina? Yeah, it keeps everything in balance. Yogurt helps your vagina. Well, it mainly helps the digestive tract, but it's also good for women with yeast infections. Oh, my gosh. Which I don't have, by the way, but it helps the problem. My gosh, guys, a yeast infection. I don't have a yeast infection. You are listening to Unrock 105.3. All right, class.

Now here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. People write Eddie. They ask for advice. He doles it out. He does not placate them. He shoots straight from the hip. That's why we call it tough love. The first letter reads, Dear Eddie,
I proposed to my soon-to-be bride last month, and we were in the midst of planning our big day. Neither of us want a traditional wedding, but what I really want is a Harry Potter wedding. My fiancé needs some convincing, though. She isn't really down with it. Can you help me out? Signed P1 Quidditch Champion. Eddie? Oh, man. Dear my big fat geek wedding. Greetings, nerd. Be thankful that the first girl you ever hooked up with has agreed to marry you and let her do what she wants, okay? So I'm just going to actually pick up my wand here and I'm going to do a little spell for you. Okay. A la connerd. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock.
A Las Vegas judge ruled yesterday that there is enough evidence against O.J. Simpson for him to stand trial on charges including kidnapping and armed robbery. The D-backs Bob Melvin and Cleveland's Eric Wedge win the Manager of the Year awards. Mikey, the Osmonds were scheduled to appear on Oprah before their father died, and there was a question whether or not they would still do the show, but they chose to. Just wanted to prove Sky wrong. Signed, P1 Jesse. This is terrible. Clearly a person has an agenda. Obviously. That's somebody from the creamy foods industry. Subject of this email is sky is whacked. Why are you leaving? I do not choose the emails. I do. Boston Rob prints me emails. Oh, he did?
Eddie, wouldn't it be just a great bit just to read through Skye's emails in general? Like, who's writing her? People who are too scared to call in because you guys will gang up on them. I probably don't let those people through anyways. Hey, Mikey, I'm going crazy here at work listening to all these delicious foods that Skye has not tried and claims to not like. Green bean casserole? For crying out loud, anyone that likes green beans loves green bean casserole. I've never had it. It looks too creamy. That is not true. That's the main thing I look forward to every Thanksgiving. Ashley disagrees. I like green beans. I do not like green bean casserole. Chicken fettuccine Alfredo. I mean, come on, Sky. Too creamy. That's just deliciousness. I think normal foods with Sky is a must. Put it on the board. That will make some awesome radio. Thanks, Mikey. Enjoy your weekend. Go Chargers sign P1T Dizzle. Put it up there, Sky.
What? I just printed Mike out a stack of them. No, no. Put it on the board. Oh, shut your mouth. It's a new bit. Go ahead. Yeah, you got to put it on. Mikey, how is it this guy has not had all these normal foods, yet she somehow randomly concocted her stupid Cold Stone Lemon Sorbet gummy worms? What? What does that even mean? You don't eat just like regular stuff, but you'll go eat the Cold Stone. But I'll eat the things I like? Oh, that's crazy. Crazy. You'll go into Cold Stone and you'll order this bizarre concoction. You know what? I like bread and I also like pepperoni. So sometimes I get a pepperoni. Wow. Wow. How could that be? Yeah, but a lot of people like pepperoni pizza. No one eats. No one on earth. Tummy bears and lemon, whatever. Sorbet. These are things I like. These are three things I enjoy. Okay. I like clam chowder, and I also like Reese's peanut butter cups. Doesn't mean I gotta combine them. And you know what? If you did, I'd say, hey, that's you, man. No, you would call him weird. Yes, thank you. I would not. You're my foodist. You're the foodist. I love all foods. Mike has some emails to read. Subject of this email is no means no. Oh, gosh. So dumb. Why is this one dumb? It says, regardless, someone forcing their will on someone,
is wrong. That is the argument whether people think food versus, say, alternative sexual tastes don't relate. No means no. I will never be browbeaten into eating anything I say no to. Signed, Calgary Listener. It's a Canuck. They don't count. Not even from this country. The subject of this email is, there is no subject. Did he get it? It says, this email says, you are so not alone, kiddo. Oh, boy. This is the email you get. When Mikey says, quote, saying that something doesn't sound good because it's too creamy is like saying it doesn't sound good because it sounds too yummy. False.
I'm with you. If they tell me it's creamy, it sounds disgusting. And oh, here's a thought. It probably is. Signed, P1 Lynx. The subject of this one is, I get it. Says, I totally get this conversation, Sky. Creamy peanut butter is thick. No juicy, creamy like cream of corn for me. Signed, Debra. Eddie's wife. What the fuck? There you, Debra. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Yeah. Now what? Oh goodness. Respond to that one. That one doesn't have anything to do. Yeah, that's Eddie's wife. I'll let him respond to that. It's an awesome email. She agrees with you on the creaminess. Thank you. She supports Sky. Just one of the many supporters. Eddie's got his eyes closed and he's shaking his head back and forth. Thank you. Shaking his head. Some great emails. Thank you. How dare you. Needs a minute. How dare you. Ouch.
That hurts. I wish I knew what was going on in his head because there's a lot going on in there. There's a whole conversation he's having right now with himself up there. He's working it all out. This is what he's doing. Should I? Shouldn't I? No. I'm not. I think I'm good. No. Maybe if I phrase it like this. No. Still one more now. You know what? Forget. No. You know what? I changed my mind. No. No. You know what, though? For the show, I'm going to... Radiate. You know what, though? I really like being married. Marriage is working out so far. Forget it. I'd like to apologize for my wife. Sometimes she speaks when she should be quiet. No! She is so on point. Back to the kitchen, babe. How dare you? Oh, my gosh. I would like to hear... about Boston Rob's brother Al hitting the lottery for $100,000. What? $120,000. $120,000. Whoa, your brother hit the lottery? Congrats. Well, let me ask you. Out of the poorhouse. So, Rob, when he hit the lottery for $120,000, how did he react? Wow. Was he excited? Hysterical. Not more than excited. Hysterical. Now, what do you mean by that? Describe it. What was he doing? Well, I got a phone call.
You got a phone call. Yes, that was actual audio. Got a phone call. Got a phone call pretty late last night. And it sounded like something was like really wrong. You know, like I went into concerned older brother mode. Like, dude, what's up? Like, do I have to come home? Like, what's going on? And you ever talk to someone, you can tell that they're shaking on the phone. Oh, yeah, you can hear it in their voice. You can hear it like... Kind of like you when you were doing Bizarre Foods earlier today. Is that ready to go yet, by the way? Not yet. Oh, come on. We've got to get that thing going, man. Voice starts to crack, and I can't tell. At this point, I'm like, either something's horribly, like horrifically wrong, which I've gotten those phone calls, so my stomach starts to drop, or something, he's about to spring on me, is like the best thing I've ever heard in my life. Okay. He goes and tells me that he had hit... $50,000 on a lotto ticket. Oh, I thought it was $120,000. Hold on. Okay. So I'm like, what? What is going on? And he's like, on top of that, hold on, I'm still scratching. Let me put you on speakerphone. He's like, another $6,000. Another $1,000 on this ticket. And I'm like, I've seen those tickets where you just hit on everything. Right. So I'm like, oh my, oh my God. Oh my God. Right. This is awesome. My birthday's next week. Sure.
He's like, I got to go. I got to go home. I'm on a hot streak. I got to go cash in my change, and I'm going to get another lotto ticket. So I'm like, all right. This just sounds weird already. It does sound weird. Like, who says that? And at that point, if I'm Rob, I'm laughing at the, like, little fantasy, and I'm hanging up laughing. Dude, if you had heard him... But he's clearly acting ridiculous. Like, who actually... Dude, okay, figure this, dude. Let me ask. If you are actually winning like that, who goes, hey, I gotta go get more tickets. Like, you're, like, happy, and you're not going out to get more. I'm on a lottery ticket hot streak. Dude, I would have bought another one. Lottery ticket hot streak? You just won 50K, bro. Dude. I would have... Personally, I would have bought another one. When I bought Scratch... Right that moment? Absolutely. At that moment, you'd be like, I gotta go. If I had more cash, I would have been like, you know what? I'll take one more. Because when I've won on scratch tickets, it's like two or three that you'll win on in a row. You've got as an addictive personality as I do. Oh, hell yeah. It is awesome. Okay, so anyway. Then I get a call back. Were you telling me the truth earlier before we went on the air that he was throwing up? He was so excited that he got... That's what I'm getting to, dude. So he calls me back and he said he hit $50,000 on another ticket. And he's like...
he's telling me the story like what happened he's like i was so excited now he's like in tears right he's crying dude like in tears i could hear it and he's like like the most joyful i've ever heard anyone in my entire like it was like he got to visit heaven for an hour And come back and tell me all about it. Like, that's how he was describing this. And he was like, and dude, it was so over, like, this is so overwhelming. I was just throwing up in the bathroom. I can't handle it. And he's like, you have to come home right now. So now I'm like, I don't, like, I'm like, he's throwing up. The kid's crying. Like, I have to go home and, like, make sure this is, you know, happening. And I'm like, in my mind, I'm already spending money. In my mind, spending money. I'm like, ha, ha, ha, out of debt. Don't have to pay rent. Screw your mic. Take a job and shove it. Did you get that message where I called in sick today? So I get home, go in his room where he is huddled in the corner and he's got a notebook out and he's doing the calculations of how much he won on this little notebook.
And I look into his eyes and it looked, I've seen a lot of people on drugs and it looked like he had taken the best drug I've ever seen. His pupils were so dilated. You couldn't see any of the blue, right? It was just pupils. And he was like, kind of like a cold sweat. Like when I walked up to him and put my arm around him, I was like, Hey, how you doing, bud? You know, I was like, is everything okay? He's like, you're pretty happy here. And he's just like... You just want the lottery. And he's going, he's like, Ma, don't have to pay no more of her bills. And I'm going to take care of everyone. Like, telling me all this stuff. And I was like, let me see the tickets, bud. You know, like, calm down. Like, you are out of control right now. You are outrageous. Right. And I look, and he read the tickets wrong. Duh. How did he read the tickets wrong? Like, tell me how close it was. Okay, it was... It was a poker game, and he thought the dealer's hand was his hand. Dude. Dude, I hated breaking that to, like, when I was reading the cards, in my mind, I'm going, do I even say anything? Like, this is the happiest I've ever seen him, and I don't want to take that away. I don't want to be the one.
And when I told him, he, like, bad-ass a trip, and everything just went a different route. Right, right. You know, like, he's like, no, dude. Can we get him on the phone? I would like to, because, dude. Get him on the phone. He left his friends' messages, and I'm trying to get those friends to send me the messages. He left, gave a message, and I'm like, this is out of control. Like, I need to hear these messages, because I actually. Yeah, we've got to get the messages on the air. I actually talked to him. Of a person winning the lottery. Right? It is. After I broke it to him, I had never laughed so hard in my life, but felt bad. Have him on the phone next. This is the Mikey Show. I don't wake up with a headache the next morning, but it gives me a tremendous buzz. I'm talking about gambling. I can't bet like most people. When I gambled and lost, I kept gambling. I loved the action and I thought I could win it all back. Nobody could tell I had a problem. I wouldn't believe it. For a while, it was easy to hide. In the end, I lost more than money. I lost myself. I lied. I lost my job. I hurt everyone who cared about me. If the funds become something that's hurting you or your family, get help.

Why did I say that? Gabe is in the middle, and he's the least of the three characters. Rob the oldest, and this guy the youngest, characters. Al's probably the biggest character out of the three. That is true. Do you even know what that means? Big Al Kahuna... Big Al Kahuna looks just like Jay Moore. Yeah. Michelangelo, stop. He...

And you know what? Al, what was the first thing you were going to buy? First thing? Yeah, what was the big plan? What was the big plan? All right. Well, 25 minutes. Rob together probably had spent it all. I was going to get Rob, of course. His birthday is coming up.
You know, get them the best used car money could buy. That's a used car. After that, I see the nice, I see the really nice, dirty jeans that he wears. I want to get a pair of those. Some nice sunglasses, you know, not the fancy ones, just the ones you get at the $12 kiosk, because I'm going to break them anyway. Kiosk? So you didn't have, like, big, you didn't have any big things in mind? What about the trip home? Oh, yes, the trip home. Well, that was, of course, first, just because I haven't been home in almost a year. I watched it with friends, so I was going to go home. And then the thing was, I was like, to hell with home. I could just go to the Caribbean. But the thing that really hit me last night was after I figured out I didn't lose. I think I'm the first person to successfully not hit the lottery and still be interviewed. But at the same time... Well, there it is. You didn't have any big plans, it sounds like, other than going home. He was going to go home, and that was like...
The extent of anything big. I thought you would have had cars picked out or houses or stuff like that. I'm not big on cars, but I was like, yeah, it's some decent cash, but nothing to put towards house. The first thing I did think, though, was, hell yeah, I'm not going to have to pay rent for a long time. Right. Awesome. Well, sure. He was telling me how he was going to have to turn away interviews for hitting this much money. Well, I mean, but the money would eventually run out. Well, not to mention it was only like $100,000. It's really not that much. Well, and after taxes. He's more famous now, not winning it. Fake it all the time. That's right. How embarrassing. No, Eddie. Stop. I wouldn't say that. Well, listen. You better look next time. Fool me once lottery tickets. Shame on you. Fool me twice or three times. Shame on me. That's the same. That's the way it goes. Well said. I was having to, not after Rob broke the news to me, but the first thing that ran through my mind was, oh, I got to call all my friends back. How many people did you call? You know, just a couple, but it was 3 a.m., so I left a message. So they have these really awkward messages. Like, what is going on with a 19-year-old 3 a.m. scratching lottery tickets? Like, what's going on? No, no, no, it's like 11 here, but back east. Gotcha. Oh, man. Gotcha. Yeah. Weird.
Well, it's a sad story, Al, but, you know, better luck next day. You go get him, kid. You'll get him next time, you rascal. No, I'm staying away from lottery tickets, but hey. How did you think the dealer's hand was your hand? Thank you. Thank you. After the sixth time you won, didn't you go, wait a second. That's crazy. This can't be right. It's not hit me at all. I thought I was on a hot streak. Nobody's on that kind of a hot streak ever. There's no such thing. That's why he was so happy. I'm my lucky penny. I didn't change my shirt when I went to go out to get another one. I kept the barbecue sauce and a few stains on it. I just wasn't going to change the flow that I had going on. I was in a nice flow. He's not kidding. He's not kidding. He has a penny and he told me he's going to get it framed. I feel so bad. No, you don't. But it's so funny. He's the best. No, it's still good because you know what? For that like 25 minutes, I was euphoric. It felt great. Now that I know what it's like to feel like that, I don't really care so much for it. There you go. That's Big Al Kahuna. Thank you for coming on the air. You're the best. We'll talk to you soon. All right, no problem. Bye-bye. Love you, bro. Bye-bye. He's the best. Looks just like Jay Moore. That's right, Michelangelo. Hey! Zing!
That was a good one. I'm proud of him. Kelly Pickler's on fifth grader tonight. Oh, that's good. Cut 35. That's great. He's so funny and great comedic timing. We're dating. He's just great to work with. So everyone here on set has been great, and they took such good care of us all. And kids are amazing. They're so intelligent, and they're great. So good personalities. Man, I wish I would have paid attention to the school, but oh well. I was doing heroin. Oh, wait. Will she get one question? One? Yes. She will? Well, because she gets help from the kid. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, like, on her own. Because you can answer on your own. Oh, no. Because you get these, like, lifelines. Right. Yeah, I don't think on her own. No way. Well, not on her own. I think she gets one. Really? I think she'll get one. I think that whole dumb thing's an act. I think she's a lot smarter than she comes off to be. That whole nice, sweet bumpkin thing. Yeah, right.
She's got like... A PhD. She's got savings and loan things set up for herself with CDs that she did on her own. Yeah, she's doing day trading. Probably. Wouldn't surprise me. I'm going to play this clip for no other reason than I just like to make fun of Celine Dion talking. Oh my gosh. Cut 20. Whatever I will do, I won't please everyone. But something that I can reassure every mother here. Every mother... The long hair. Do you know that Rene Charles makes his own decisions most of the time? Rene Charles is your son? My son? Yeah. Rene Charles. He makes his decision about this hair. So he doesn't want to cut. She's about 25 times, if not 5 million. Do you want mommy to open your face a little bit? Do you want me to open your eyes? Do you want me to cut? Just trim. Just trim a little bit. You know? And no.
When it's ready, I'll cut it. And then when I cut, they say, oh, you know what? It's a little too short. Yeah. You want mommy to open your face a little bit? Oh, my God. Keep that back talk up and you watch mommy open your face right up all over this. All over the dock. I'll put some color in your face. Yeah. I don't think that's what she meant. Like the kid in her kid. I'll spill it all. Okay. All right, Celine. Please. What the hell? You want mommy to open your face up a little bit? Who says that? A person from... French-Canadia? Yeah, René Charles. Yeah, René Charles. I say to him, René Charles Benoit. Oh, my God. Just speak French already. Carry around a translator. Oh, gosh. It's more comfortable than hearing you. Open up your face. René Charles, you want mommy to cut your face all up? Wait, no. See, it doesn't translate. Cut it all up, you know. Make you look good. Do you want mommy to stab up your face to death? No, that's not. With these scissors? With the scissors? No. Come on, Renee Charles. No. Let me to stab your face off the ribbons. Okay. Right? Do you know what I mean? No. Want mommy to use a cheese grater on your face? You want this, yes? Oh, God. You have bloody pulp, yes? You want mommy to go all OJ on your face? Oh, no. No haircut. You know little Scott Peterson over here? How about... Wow. Okay.
Double over the top Celine. Sean. Double over the top Celine. Is there a problem? Yeah. I was hoping for moderate Celine. Yeah. My bad. Oh, I'm so sorry about my afterbirth-ish comments. Oh, my God. Let's not. How about that? Don't want me to take this broomstick handle. No, that's as far as I go. That's as far as I go. Please. And what? And clean the kitchen. With just the broom handle? Yeah. That'd be difficult. Take a long time. That's not what I was thinking. No, but you already have a phone call coming to you later. Oh, no. Double over-the-top Celine Dion. I'm going to be quiet now. Cut 21.
And when the songs came, they were edgier. You know, they talk about rape and abortion. They talk a lot about the topics, you know, edgier topics. You know, back alley abortion, murder. And now they were there, and it was a little edgier, and I was like, whoa, for me. And I was very, very, very happy about that. I went to the recording studio in July. In Titanic, I wanted to do My Abortion Will Go On. I changed it. The new album is called Roe vs. But they rejected that at the Walmart, so they said they would not sell that. I am edgy. I'm edgier now on this album. The album is just called abortion. Oh, no. All right. But to get your attention, to say to you issues, you know, we must talk about these things, not hide them. I bring them out in the open with my edgy album. The second track is called Don't Hit Your Wife. That's the second song on the album. Don't hit your wife. Parentheses, unless she asked for it. That was the parentheses. They took that off. Yeah. They took that off. Weird. Of course, I do. I kill homeless people. Yes. I drown my kittens. Yes. Let Mommy Open Your Face. Yes, that's track five. Power Ballad. It's just called Power Ballad. Yeah. That's what I am known for. Oh, my God.
She's such a beating, but that chick can sing, man. What a voice. Where does it come from? Creepy, weird. She's so small. I know it. She's a witch. Her album came out on Thursday. She's a witch. In an interview, she was saying she likes to warm up for her shows with ACDC's Thunderstruck. Oh, come on. Can you imagine how that would sound? Her voice is so good, it's creepy. Yeah. And perfect English. It's just a trip that if you're born and the meat in your throat is formed the right way, you're going to be a millionaire. The skin in your throat, if it's formed just the right way, you can be a millionaire. You didn't do anything. What does this guy's meat look like? You mean her vocal cords. Oh, you're asking me? Yes.
You wanted me to clarify. That's what you're trying to get at. I get it now. I get it now. Yes, her vocal cords. Thank you for clarifying. No problem. My bad. Oh my gosh. Is this show over yet? Almost. Thank you. Oh. Oh, for goodness sake. That is good meat right now. I want some Celine meat. How about Celine meat? Oh. You know, if I were a producer, I would just hit her up with the idea of covering 80s heavy metal. Oh, yeah. I would buy that record. Yeah. How could you not, man? That'd be funny. And what? Her, like, taking it serious or her trying to? No, no. She's got to take it serious. Okay. 100% serious. Like, I was 17. Like, that would be funny. Yeah, but she does trippy stuff with her voice.
I would have gone to see her in Vegas because I'd like to see a unicorn running down the street. And she's only doing it for like another month. I wonder how much tickets are going for for that last performance at Caesars. I wonder how much tickets are for the front row of Celine for her last performance ever in Vegas. And they're replacing her with... Renee Charles? No. Rene Charles is too young to sing. Right now, he's a little boy, so he's only into boxing. He's only four. So I only have him too young for the singing. So right now, I have him boxing and throwing knives. Wow. I might want to cut you a little. Hey. I say the only thing I will allow Rene Charles to do at this age is run around with a box of razor blades.
It's the only thing I can let him do. The only song he is allowed to sing is Crank That Soldier Boy. That's right. Not that soldier boy. Oh, it's just that soldier boy? Soldier boy. You know, like Sky said. Sky, is it soldier boy? Is it soldier boy? I think it's soldier. What is it? No, no, no. That's not proper English. Not according to the sky. Soldier boy. No, it's not a J-A. Please tell us the sky. The sky. Excuse me, the sky. It's just sky. Is it soldier boy? Say this for us again for us to laugh. Please. Please, the sky. Shut up. But it's just so funny when you, like what is funnier, me or you speaking English? Please, sky. They're both terrible. Use your meat to say it. Come on, meat. My name is not meat. Come on, the sky. Come on, the sky. Please.
Please, everyone. Come on, sing it with us. Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy. Come on, Soldier Boy. Move that meat. Meat to top. Just got a figure sent to me for the average price of tickets going for Celine Dion for her final performance December 15th in Las Vegas. $3,200. Oh, my God. Does she throw gold into the audience? Damn. That's such money. She better turn into a unicorn for that reason. Only Big Al Kahuna can afford that. That's right. Oh, wait. Oh, no. Subject of the email is Sky. Stop it, people. Jeez. She's Swiss. She's Swiss. Hey, Mikey. Sky tasting normal food is absolutely imperative. Oh, imperative.
Maybe her mom could come on and rescue her and take her home if she has a react. Oh. Who's it signed by? P1 Second Degree. Rob. Oh, Rob, you were so confused who sent that. I had no idea. You had no idea. Mikey. Stupid ass. Mikey Show. Yeah, whatever. Why the Sky stuff? Like, what is it? I don't know. What is it about the Sky stuff? And I'm so cool to him. I'm always so nice to him. And, like, off the air, you know, I'm the one he comes to when he asks questions about, like, financial advice. Just loves it, though. Just loves the Sky stuff. You're a nice person. I try and be so cool. That's my way of showing, like, affection. Yeah. What? Like, Sky just, you know? It's good stuff. It's not. Come on. It's all in fun. We're best friends. Oh, my gosh. All right. Here's Robin Williams on the Today Show. Cut three. You know what? You're also doing something. Am I reading this correctly? Yeah. Going to Iraq. That's not the first time you can. Not a club. No, we're not playing club kaboom. No, going to Iraq. I've been to Iraq twice, Afghanistan three times. It's always good to go for a Kevlar Christmas. Get off the back of the plane. Stay with your group, Mr. Williams. We're performing now. You have a chance. Stay on these paths. What happens if you walk off the path? They're mine.
Yeah, you travel on a C-130, it's a slightly loud plane. You know, a plane that even Marley Maitland would go, this is loud. Marley Maitland. I think we fly now. It's almost impossible to work on Marley Maitland. Where are you? Nice to be here. Where are you? My first time in Hollywood? We need to go to the weather. Go to the weather. We'll be back with Martha Stewart. Just a little wait. Thank you so much. Our lines are open. That's what's going on. The weather's right now. A little global warming in place. We'll be right back. Here's what's happening in your neck of the neck. Everyone loves a good Marlee Maitland joke. Yeah, if I knew who she was. Well...
You might know better if he had called her by her name. Marlee Matlin. Oh, no. So that's not even a real name? It's Marlee Matlin, not Marlee Maitland. Oh, that's different than what he did. Yeah, I'm sure the producers of the Today Show love a good death joke. Yeah. They're taking those phone calls. Oh. People are mad to hear it. Cut four. Robin's talking about the Chinese man. Chinese toys. Oh, very good. Look at... The toy, look at that. Oh, it blow up. It's only for a two-year-old. It should blow up. It's a little toy. Why are you upset that that toy might be? And also, we have upset about Chinese pharmaceuticals with the Viagra-Xlox combination. So you can come and go. Not many people go complaining. There is no health and welfare. You could have gone right to commercial. You didn't have to see them up again. Foolish boy, I had to. Because we could. You don't want to take us to commercial. Go to commercial. I'm square. I don't get it. I don't get Robin Williams anymore. I don't either. I don't know that I ever really did. Let me explain. First of all, it's funny when you change your voice. Is that how? You don't really have to say anything funny. So if you change your voice. Change your voice. You do like any kind of cultural affectation. If you can. I mean, even if you can't. You don't have to. You don't have to, really. But even if you can't, just change your voice and it's funny. That's the secret.
You don't have to tell jokes. It's just funny. Guess who the sexiest man alive is, according to People Magazine. This is brand new. Just came out. Matthew McConaughey. That is not it. Damn. It's Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Sexiest man alive, Matt Damon. Good for him. Yes. Very cool. Yeah, that's right. Oh, he is hot. Sky, do you think he's the sexiest man alive? No, but I think he's really hot. Not the sexiest man alive. Other runners up who didn't get the title were David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Patrick Dempsey, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Justin Timberlake. What about Jake Gyllenhaal? I don't see him anywhere on the list. He is not on the list. Jake Gyllenhaal made it, but that guy you're talking about, he's not on the list. He's not on there. Maybe next year, Mike. Can't find him anywhere on there. Maybe next time.
So Amy Winehouse's parents, they couldn't get a hold of her, so they had to send an ambulance to go check and see if she was okay. An ambulance? Are you kidding? I mean, Amy, figure it out, babe. And it's really bad. That's a problem. You know when you know you might have a problem? When your parents are sending the ambulance to check on you. They're on speed dial. Can you check on her again, dear? Luckily she was just out for a while and everything was okay. Sorry to bother you again, especially at this time of night, but could you check on Amy just once again? She's not answering again.
We fear that she's either coked out on heroin or gotten into a fight with her boyfriend or smashed her face in. Well, no, the boyfriend's currently locked up. Oh, that's right. I forgot about that. You can't be with a boyfriend. Yes, Miss Winehouse. We'll be right out there. Can you just send an ambulance to make sure she hasn't OD'd on some sort of crack cocaine or something? Again. Yes, I know I called you just last night, but we finally got word from her. We'll be right out. She said she was sorry. She was just coked out. But if you could take one special trip out there, I'll send over some parties. It's not really special anymore. What do you mean it's not special? Well, it's every night you call us. I'm not trying to entertain you by having you go out and chill. Well, no, I understand, but it's, you know, getting a little old. It's getting old for you, dear. We're worried about our daughter. It's about rehab. By the way, while you're out, can you check on her teeth? Steal a jack top Alright Hey Sean Poor chick
Yeah, it's really bad. Like, she's been doing shows in London this past week, and there's video popping up all over the internet of it. And, of course, she's completely out of her head, slurring her words. At one point, she mentions her husband who's locked up, and the audience starts to boo. She starts yelling and getting belligerent at the audience because they're booing her husband. I'm America's sweetheart. It's really sad. No, you're not. InTouch Magazine put out their list of commitment-phobic celebrity men. Zeth. Zeth, baby. He's not commitment phobic. You know, the number one has to be Clooney. Yeah. No. He's on the list, but he's not number one. What number is he? Well, they just say who's the number one, and then they list the other people on the list. So the other, you know. JT. If you're not number one, you're not. McConaway. It's not numbered. It's just like, comma, comma. Right, right. They say who's number one, but then the rest of them are just lumped together. And Clooney's not number one. No. Matt Damon. Whoever said Matthew McConaughey. I did. He's on the list. No Timberlake. What about M. Night Shyamalan? He's number one. M. Night Shyamalan. Han Solo. Sean Penn. Is that weird? What about Forrest Griffin? Good guess. Wait, what?
Are you making fun of me, Mikey? I'm just asking. I'm asking. Hey. No. Forrest Whitaker. Forrest Gump. Leonardo DiCaprio. Yeah, he's on the list, right? Mm-mm. What about one of the Venus brothers? They are girls. How many times? Ellen. Women. Just men. Ellen's on the list, like, wearing a tie. There's a photograph of her in a tie. Winking with a thumbs up. You guys, how are you not getting number one? Oh, we said Clooney. Clooney would have been my guess. Obviously, Brad Pitt. Who is the number one womanizer right now? Boston Rob. Well, I mean a celebrity. John Legend? No, no, no, no. John Mayer. John Mayer is number one. Yeah, John Legend. No, I meant John Mayer. You know what I meant. John Mayer is number one on the list. You did, Eddie.
Santa Claus. Andy Dick. Carrot Top. Richard Simmons. He's so commitment phobic. Is that his problem? He won't settle down. Is that his deal? Yeah. Can't find the right lady? Every chick is trying to saddle that guy down. Interesting. He won't go for it. O.J. Simpson. He's commitment phobic. Soldier Boy. Proud of yourself? Yes. Oh, really? Making that joke? Jake Gigihall. Nope. Again, proud of himself. Ryan Felipe. Who's a married guy? Dave Grohl. Is he married? Hans Zimmer. Kim John L. Can I just tell you? Sorry, I can't tell. I told you from the beginning I was an honest wife. I'm a dictator. The barefoot contest's husband. Jeffrey. Jeffrey. Jeffrey, Ina Garten's husband.
Horatio Sands. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, this is P1J. I was just calling the nominee to see if Brett Favre was on the list. Yeah. He's married. Brett Favre. Oh, Eddie took offense. God. Mikey Show. Yeah, how about OJ Simpson? We already said it. The juice. Mikey Show. Hey, can I guess? Yes. Tom Brady? Oh, yeah. He's got to be on there. Not on the list. Not on the list. Not a celebrity. Queer. He's gay. Mikey Show. 9-0. Chew on that. 9-0. Chew on that. Yeah, taste that. Mikey Show. Mikey. Yeah. George Takai's got to be on the list. No, I'm on the list. Are you on the list? Yes. I will not settle down for anyone. What about Steven? I will settle down if he will pop the question. Wait.
He hasn't asked. Oh, that's sad. You should move on, man. I can't. Why? My heart belongs to it. It does? Yes, he knows it. So he'll toy with me. That sucks. That's not right. It isn't. You deserve better. I said to him, fine, I'm getting my own place at La Mirage. Oh. That's a swingers paradise, man. Yeah, but for straights. Oh, that's true. Weird. So he said, go ahead, move to La Mirage. I called your bluff. called my bluff. So anyway, reflection drive for all you gay men out there. Stop it. George! Just say. This isn't gay Craigslist. And in case you're wondering, my favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip. We're not wondering. Stop by. George! I often jog around the premises. You do? Yes, at 11 a.m. Really? You better get out there then. Always way in the back. Hey. What? Hey. George. Huh? Takai. Where no law enforcement can see you. Sulu. Come on, buddy. I'm just kidding. You're getting weird. All right, Skye, who else is on the list? So the ones you didn't get were Tommy Lee, Jamie Foxx,
Heath Ledger, and Orlando Bloom. There you go. All right, we got to go. All right. Dollar Dollar Bills. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. What is she talking about? I don't know. Dollar Dollar Bills. We're just keeping it gangsta. What up? Mikey's show. Mikey's show. Yeah, I had a guess. Yeah, she just gave away the whole thing. All right. Mike, way to go. I know it. Tomorrow, we got a big show. Got a lot of cool stuff. We got listeners coming in to hang out in the studio. And we're going to get to a bunch of stuff we didn't get to get to today. I got to tell you about something that came up off the air. We'll talk about it tomorrow. But basically, it's Sky Hates Cinemax. We'll talk to you about it tomorrow. Will you shut up? Also, winner plugs all. Got a couple people coming in the studio tomorrow to play music live. Mikey Show, hello.
I had a question about the commitment phobia guys. Uh-huh. Isn't Heath Ledger married? He was. He was married to Michelle Williams, wasn't he? They weren't married. They were not married. Oh, they had a baby. They had a baby. Baby. My baby. I thought he was married for some reason. Okay, then I guess it works out. He was with Michelle Williams, but he didn't marry her. They broke up. Yeah, Santa Fe Christian High School's Michelle Williams. She's from here. Yep. Oh. Thanks. Mikey Show. Oh, for goodness sake, you non-P1. Why would we have his radio so loud that way? He's calling in. Hello? Yeah, you had your radio turned up really loud, bro. Why were you doing that? Listen, I thought he's the opposite of a P1. I did that to illustrate what is a P1. A P1 calls in. They turn their radio down, they get to the point, and they don't cuss. That was the opposite of a P1. I wanted to illustrate it. And we did. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. Today on the Nooner, she's going to do a little something called Lost and Found. Stuff you haven't heard in a long time, so you want to listen to that. And if you want to, you can call her and you can request stuff. It'd be very cool. We will see you again tomorrow morning at 5.30.
Mikey Show's out, Lee. Love you, man.
