It's a Mikey program. Good morning. Hi. Hey. It is 6.03. An L.A. hospital almost killed Dennis Quaid's newborn babies after giving them a major overdose of a blood thinning drug. Billy shortstop Jimmy Rollins. It is Rocky's. Matt Holliday to win the National MVP award. Hey, do we have a... Is that the announce? Do we have a Sharpie? Can you find me a Sharpie? I got the... I got my level dot wrong on the board. I don't know. Did you know that, Rob? Did you notice that like a long time ago? I put little dots on the board so that every day we know where to put the little levels on the board. Yeah, I noticed that lately you've been doing it higher. Yep. Oh, you're marking it? Yep. Mark. Thank you. Mark it. I'm Marky Marking it. Mark it. So always use the top one now. Is that cool? Yep. Cool.
Alright, let's go around and introduce everybody. And then let's start to talk about stuff. My name is Mike. I am the host of the show. I go by Mikey on the air. I am 37 years old. And what are you going to do? That's all I can say. What are you going to do? Espanol. It's kind of my thing. Like with me, like overall. It's kind of my attitude with me. I go, well, you know what? I'm Mike. Take a look. What are you going to do? Yeah. Well, what are you going to do? You know what I'm saying? I like other stuff. I told my therapist this the other day, just yesterday. She's real good. She gets all up in my kitchen. And I told her this the other day. I said, well, you know, listen, at 37 years of age, I have come to terms with some things.
And, you know, luckily it balances out. Now today, Eddie is not with us. Eddie is my best friend of 20 years. I've known him forever. And he is in Hollister with his family getting ready for some Thanksgiving. Today, I'm sure he will be doing a lot of golfing. Oh, yeah. A ton of golfing. No doubt about that. I wish I knew how to do that. I really gave it a really good try for about 10 minutes. 10 seconds. No, it was 10 minutes. Be fair, Sky. It was 10 minutes. 15 seconds. I was out there 10 minutes at least that day. It was funny that day. And I said, okay, well, I guess, you know, all I know is that I, you know, I wasn't hitting the ball like Tiger Woods. And so I go, well, obviously I'm not good at this. This is nothing like the video game. Yeah. It's nothing like what I see on TV where the ball goes in the hole and all that.
Where's the controller? This isn't like the Wii. I was like, oh, I am way too short and Latino for this. So Eddie's not here today. His former roommate and broadcaster, he's a broadcaster as well, B-Dub is filling in. Everybody knows B-Dub. Good morning, everybody. That's right. Now, B-Dub, do we get to promote the new... station? Is that cool? Yeah, I would love to. Yeah, definitely. B-Dub is... What is your affiliation with the new sports station? I'm the program director. Are you really? Yes. Right on. I think I... You sound so surprised. Check you out. You let me do that? That's crazy. Check you out. Well, let me tell you something. I know this for a fact. The big guys here at the company in San Diego, they really love B-Dub. They do. They really love them.
talk about him like he's really going to ascend to like the big high ranks and i know him as a guy that i used to play dice with yes and so whenever they start to talk this way i just pretend that i don't have prior knowledge of alcohol and dice and a whole lot more yeah i just go oh yeah you guys yeah but i guess But I guess professionally, he is really good, too. So you're going to be the program director of the new sports station. Yeah, my first time. You knew me way back when I first got into radio, starting in promotions, making $8 an hour, 11 every minute of it. So yeah, exactly. You see me kind of come full circle. Though I still feel like I'm just, you know, it beats working. You know what I mean? That's the way I treat radio. It beats sticking ditches and doing some of that stuff. That's true. In fact, I was at Mary's the other day. She's got a little restaurant inside of a gas station called Skewer's Grill, and she makes Persian food. Mary, I've talked about Mary on the air before. I love Mary. It's over on Lucadia and El Camino Real inside the Shell station, and it's some of the best Persian food you'll ever get. I almost cried. And I've gotten to know Mary very well. I love her. And by the way, she's looking for help. So if anybody needs a job, she's looking for quality help.
over at Skewer's Grill. She needs someone to help her out. She can't handle it. But I've got to know her really well. We were sitting down at the table and I was showing her pictures of Jake on my iPhone. And she is so funny. She doesn't hold back. I love it. She goes, Michael, let me see your hands. And I go, okay. And she takes my hand. She looks at them. She goes, you do not work with your hands ever, right? Accurate. And instantly I was... Humiliated. And I said, yeah, no, Mary, no. You know me, I work on the radio. His hands are so soft because we do not do anything with them, right? No, I don't, Mary, I don't. You know, all my boys, they're good with the hands. They work well. You know, they work hard. They do. They're masculine men. Thank you.
I understand where you're going with it, and you are correct. Your hands are like my daughter's hands. Except softer. Like a little girl's hand. Your hands are a lot like my daughter's, but they're much softer and prettier and more feminine and smaller and just cuter in general, you know, really. You know, like an infant girl. It's like a newborn. Toddler's hands. Like a poison doll. Maybe even a preemie. Yes. Like a quato. We've been on the air 20 seconds to the first quato reference. Come on. B-Dub. B-Dub, how old are you? I'm 33. 33 years old. Yes. So tell us real briefly, if you can, tell us about your radio station. Well, we brought Extra Sports back to San Diego. And those from here obviously used to be Extra Sports 690.
Close to five years ago, they kind of took that and merged it with an L.A. station and kind of created what they called the Super Station. And a lot of us that were at Extra Sports 690 were kind of pushed out the door. It was garbage. I'm glad you recognized that. So we went across the street. They started up a new sports station that's still in town. And a year and a half ago, I was brought back to kind of... get going on the Chargers a little bit. We brought the Aztecs in-house at our sister station on Kogo. And, you know, we had the opportunity with KLSD looking to kind of flip formats a little bit to kind of... They were looking to flip formats? Well, yeah, KLSD... They were like, we don't want them more. All of the different air talent over at KLSD got together at a meeting one day and said, you know, we don't like it. Yeah, we're good. We're having fun? Come on. Well, there was only one show, so that might have been true. Basically, they... It wasn't doing well. The ratings of KLSD were miserable. In fact, many of you for the first time right now are going, KLSD, what is that? It's garbage. There's a lot of revenue and everything else. Us being in the business of trying to be productive. Zez has more in his pocket right now. Wow. Than that radio station made in a year's time. He's got more money in his pocket right now. So the opportunity presented itself. It was the worst kept secret.
In San Diego. With all the red tape and all the other stuff behind the scenes, we finally launched last week. The 12th was our first day. We've been on the air now for about 10 to 11 days, and it's a lot of fun. Some guys that have been in San Diego had opportunities putting us together. Right now we're still evolving and building the station up a little bit, but it's going to hopefully solidify sports in San Diego. It's a San Diego sports station. We're not worried about L.A., Orange County. You brought Hacksaw back. Lee Hacksaw Hamilton. How about that? Hacksaw. I want to hear from you, San Diego. He's the greatest. You know, it's weird, too. Last Friday, he traveled to Colorado for the Aztec football game. So I got to fill in with Craig Elston on the show. And I'm sitting here. hosting an afternoon show now that i'm a program director i don't kind of view it like that i mean i am but i it's so surreal because here's a guy i grew up listening to following wolfman jack you know on the old you know golden oldies on 690 the mighty 690 so it was pretty surreal a guy that pretty much put sports talk radio in the map and not just southern california but a lot of people looked at him as one of the initial pioneers of the business and here i'm filling in for a show and you know it's it's traditional shot you know saw
From Hamul to Otay. And now he's kind of had to change it a little bit. It's not really Baja to Canadian Rockies, kind of with our signal. So he's kind of tweaked it a little bit. From the edge of Fallbrook to La Mesa. Yeah, where can you find it on the dial? It's 1360 AM. So it's actually the oldest San Diego stick of all times. I mean, the longest one, it's been around the longest. It's the first one that was kind of on the map. What does that mean, a stick? It's a longest stick. There's a stick in the radio station? The signal. The signal. I like how all of a sudden I'm trying to... The signal. Figure this out. It's kind of like, you know, radio lingo. Right. What? So, well, that's cool, man. 1360, extra sports. And it's back, and Hacksaw's back on the radio. Can you get that guy a computer? Him and his damn typewriter. Does he know that there's something called a computer? What? I'm embarrassed to say this. I don't know about this. Oh, you don't? Well, see, that's the funny part, too. He doesn't have a computer. You must tune him out. Your office is right next to his, so I'm sure you guys have a lot of great stories. He's got, like, a tape recorder in there that he presses play and record on and goes, all right, let's talk to you. And I'm like, what's going on in there? Or he's broadcasting from there. I don't know what's going on. Yeah, but he uses a typewriter.
Like next time you're in the office, just sit for a second and listen and you'll hear it. And he's type, type, type, type. And anytime he ever has to like do something with a computer, he like for some reason comes to me. Sky, this Word document. I can't get it all to print on the same page. So I've turned into a secretary somehow. I guess because I have a vagine. That is accurate. You know what's up. I'm the office secretary. You know how to work that stuff. You're a chick. Could I get a broad in here to help you out with this thing? Over the intercom? Could I get a female? I can't get into my computer. He's a legend, and he's back on the air. Oh, the best. And you can hear him at the new Extra Sports. So that's cool, man. Awesome. Skye is our news girl. She's 30 years of age. Hi. Hi. And, yeah, she's in a new decade, the 30-somethings. Looking good. Oh, thank you. Looking good. Well, thank you very much. Let's take a look. What do you got? What's going on here? Well, I just think she means a general, but I'm just wearing a sweater. Yeah. Very nice. You look very nice, Skye.
The confident news girl. You're very cozy. Oh, I am. You look like someone's girlfriend. I don't know what that means. I do. I don't either. I do, actually. It was just, I looked at you, that's what I saw, and I thought, that's my observation. You look like someone's really cool, cute girlfriend. Yeah, well, thank you. I get that. I will accept that even though I don't understand it. It's a compliment. But then you guys start to talk about politics, you know, wherever the boyfriend brought you. And then you realize, uh-oh. She's one of those. That's right. Sean is our sound effects guy. And the guy is 37 years old as well. And he does that every day when I introduce him. And when I say that, I'll just leave it at that. Whoa. I'll just leave it at that. It's like a salute. It is not a salute, that's for sure. But he does it every day. It's a gesture. A rude gesture. No, a gesture of goodwill. Goodwill. Got an instant message two days ago from P1 Spaceboy. Certainly an all-time... He's like Vince Lombardi. He's an all-time great.
All-time Hall of Famer. Got an instant message from him. And he said, do you really call Sean, you know, when you say that you're writing down the time? And I said, no, I don't anymore. I don't. And what I mean by that is a lot of times you will hear me make this joke on the air where Sean will say or do something very inappropriate. Over the line. Over the line. And I will say, and I will do this. I'll go 617. Like I'm marking down the time he did it and making a note to myself to call him. And so he wanted to know, do you do that? I said, no, I do not anymore. And the reason is because I did that for years. I probably haven't called Sean in a year, about something, maybe shorter than that, but unless it's like real something that I really need to. But I used to call him a lot. And what he would do is he would go, oh,
Do it like the next day. No, that's not true. Two days, two days, three days. And Space Boy found this very funny. He thought that was really funny. And so then he said, do you mean like the puke sound effect? Oh, gosh. And I said, yes, that is exactly what I mean. I've asked Sean more times than I can count. No. to play a very particular sound effect. And I've asked him off the air. And I've asked him in a way that he's quite certain that I am not joking around. And when I... Oh, well, I mean, while we're in the middle, are you talking about... 6, 18. Oh, Sean. I forgot. You're such a cool idiot. And so, yeah, he don't stop. The people love it.
The people. That's so funny. That is so funny. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's a young woman. She's 24 years old. And I like her a lot. I consider her a good friend and almost like kind of a daughterly figure. Same thing with Rob. Rob is our phone screener. You consider me a daughterly figure? Yeah, pretty much. That would make more sense. I got him, man. hands. Rob is 24. You weigh as much as a girl right now. Thank you. I don't think he weighs as much as your average girl. He does. He weighs like 150. I think he weighs less. Like a gymnast. I weighed myself yesterday. What was it? Back down to 160. So you're a lot like a jockey. For my height, it's only too thin. No, not a jockey. Where are my midgets? Like, you know, the people that control the jockeys, it's really, you should put on a couple of pounds.
Or put him on a pony. You look like Tom Hanks in Philadelphia right now. It's true. Only thinning. Only thinning. I actually take that as a compliment. Skeletor. From the guy who looks like a grown-ass Jonathan Lipnicki. I'm saving that one. A grown-ass. He's been saving that one. Since like 2 in the morning. I came up with that. It's pretty good. And it's very accurate. That kid's brilliant. He really is. Take the glasses off Jonathan Lipnicki. Yes. Put a goatee on Jonathan Lipnicki in the movie Jerry Maguire, and you got beat up. Oh, my God. Somebody Photoshop that for us. Have you guys ever seen Eddie's thing that he's kept with him since his way back days from KFNB, the Mego? Have you guys ever seen that thing with Lipnicki? Mego was, I guess, a TV show that was supposed to come out with Jonathan Lipnicki, the little kid, and Bronson Pinchot. Well, well done. And it was a promotional poster for a show that never was on TV. Eddie still has it in the office. And I'm telling you, you look at that poster and you go, that's P-Dub. That's a first for me. I feel good about that. The kid was a star early on and went on to, I guess, bigger and better. No, I don't know. Not really. Not so much. I've been humbled. Boston Rob's birthday is Saturday. He'll be 25 years a day. Wow.
Wow. Quarter of a century. Hey, milestone. That's right. It is a milestone. Even though my mom thought I turned 25 last year. Oh, no. Her and my mom have the same problem. Yeah. My mom does that, too. She does? Oh, no. Okay. Jeff, I never told you this story. No, I haven't heard it. Actually, you have like three times. What happened? You've heard it. Lots of times. What happened? Well, what happened was it was my 12th birthday, and my mom was... sifting through some old articles of clothing and knickknacks. And she came across my birth certificate. And, you know, we always celebrated my birthday on May 30th. Well, my birthday was May 30th. My birthday was May 30th. And so we were going to have a party May 30th. And then she found the thing. And I heard her laughing. Like it was something very funny. So when you hear your mom laugh, you
start to get excited. What's going on? What's going on? And so I went skipping into that room. What's going on in here, Mom? And she was laughing her little guts out. Oh, she's got a great laugh. She does. It's infectious. And she said, oh, my goodness. Through this uproarious laugh, she said, oh, my goodness. You are not born on the 30th. You're born on the 31st. And the smile dropped. And the smile dropped. And I said... And for a minute, I almost didn't understand, you know, and I said, what do you mean? And she said, oh, all these years, you know, the laughter, all these years. I thought you were born on the 30th, you know. She was a day off. Yeah, she was a day off. But that would mean that she doesn't know the birthday of her own son. Right now. This on its own, many of you think, well, it's not that big a deal. Until you factor into it that there are no photographs of me as a child. Well, I'm sure she didn't single you out. It must have happened to all your brothers. Actually, that's not true, Rob. That's not true. It's just that when you get to the fourth one, sometimes it's not as big a deal, the fourth one, as the first or the second. Especially if you were an accident.
That's true, too. And mom told me the story about how she was on an IUD. Wait, okay. True story. Yeah, no, let me hear it. I haven't heard this one either. True story. Ashley, stop it. What happened? We're coming up on a family holiday. That she was using an IUD. Okay. And it failed. Oh, when she had you. And then she had me. I heard she told you a knock-knock joke. No, the 31st. Bye. 31st. 31st. Yeah, she did. She said, knock-knock. And I said, who's there? She said... Mikey's birthday. I said, Mikey's birthday who? And she goes, I have no idea. That's not a funny joke. That's a good one. That's how you got to tell a little kid, though. When were you born? At what time? Noon. Who knows, dude? Well, here's the only reason we know is it's on the birth certificate. It says noon. It says 12. So the birth certificate that they have, whether it was created or not by your parents. Fabricated. My thought would be. Maybe your mother was in labor starting on the day earlier. And maybe that's why she had that, you know, vision of maybe being a day earlier. So be in labor for at least 12 hours. Yeah. True story. Which was pretty normal back then. Sure. True story. My mom says, even to this day, she says, well, we always knew your birthday was on the day the Indy 500 was. Well, the Indy 500 is on different days. Yeah. I don't know how to defend that one. No, come on. You know? Yeah.
Back then, it was always on the same day. She knows what she's talking about. Yes. Yes. It's like saying, well, you were born, you know, we always know your birthday because it's the date of the Super Bowl. Really? So what is that date? She's an angel. She's an angel. With wings. Truly, with wings. Like a winged angel. Like a sweet woman. Like bat wings? No. No, I love her very much. I give her a hard time. But here's the difference. If you were Sky, you would celebrate both days just because that's what you do. See, but you don't do that. No, you should. I would suggest it. Turn it into a week, hey? The first kid is always the one that you record the most, you know? Yeah. And then the second one, you record it, but, you know, not as much as the first one because, you know, you've kind of been there, done that. Yeah, you're like the runner-up. Right. By the third kid. You definitely, you take pictures on special occasions. The fourth kid, you go to Tucson and you leave them at home by themselves if they don't get good grades. Whoa. All right. Tomorrow, family holiday. But that, I think, just happened to you. Well, actually, did it work? Yeah. Really? Your grades improved? Sky. Oh, gosh. If you're faced with the terror.
Of being abandoned at home at the age of 11 years old. In a home. In an empty, dark home. That's so young. 2 o'clock in the morning, you wake up. There's no one in the house. There's nobody. No one in the house. And you're at 11 years old. You're concerned about, did I lock the doors at 11? Did I lock the windows? Have I taken every precaution to make sure that my safety is, you know, whatever? Then you wake up the next morning and you try to figure out breakfast. You ever see the movie Kramer vs. Kramer? They make French toast in that. Little boy makes French toast in the movie Kramer vs. Kramer. There's Mike trying to figure out the French toast. Is that what you always reference, that movie? Well, now it makes sense. That was based on a true story. It was based on a true story, yeah. Coming together. So there you go. And testimony goodbye. Okay. Happy holiday. Seth is the final member of the show. He's the seventh member of the show. He's 22 years old. Look at him. And, yeah, look at him. So he's on the show. He is. Yeah, he's an official member of the show. You don't rarely hear him. You rarely hear him. He does. But he is on the show. Oh, good grief. That's right. And we say that he reminds us a lot of Charlie Brown. He was on last night. Yep.
It reminds us a lot of Charlie Brown if Charlie Brown were, say, profiled by the police. Yeah. Had a lot of tattoos. Seth was telling me off the air that he was trying to find a gift for Rob yesterday. He went to like three different places and couldn't find this thing that he was looking for. But that he, somebody tried to sell him marijuana twice. What? Two different people. Different people, right? Yeah, different people. So you did get what you were going to get. So happy birthday. Two separate people. Like, every week, someone's offering him drugs. He's getting pulled over and profiled by the cops. I pass on grass. Random people here in the building ask him, hey, do you have any drugs for sale? Right. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, he does look like a gang member. Like a white gang member. Like a little Charlie Brown. Like a supremacist. Like a white supremacist. Well, he cuts his hair. I'm Charlie Brown. What? What? Mein Kampf, Charlie. Seriously. Yeah. But, you know, he's a real sweet kid. He's very sensitive. Just ask Ash. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? I almost cried. You guys stop doing the O. Get me in trouble when you do that. When you guys do that. Well, why do you keep attacking Ashley? I didn't do anything wrong. It's not necessary. You're attacking me. Yeah, thank you. You're attacking Zach, which I always appreciate.
Accurate. Okay. Let's take some phone calls. What did you say, Rob? 570-1053. Rob breathes and she jumps out at you. Mike blatantly insults her. I didn't insult her. He didn't insult me. It's cool. Did you insult me? I didn't. I didn't think you did. I didn't. All I said was, he's a sensitive kid. Ask Ashley. Right. And the reason I say that is because Ashley every day has to roll her eyes like this guy. Come on. Stop with that sensitivity already. Wait. The truth. I mean, I don't do that. Well, okay. So you say on a daily basis, boy, is that kid sensitive. I wish he wasn't so sensitive. No, I don't say that either. Hey, if that's how you meant it, we could all believe that. Right, okay. Might be a little bit of a stretch, but... All right, sure, Mike. We were going to have a dude come hang out in here today for winning P1 trivia, and the dude had an issue with his grandma, and so he couldn't come in. And so... If you are a P1, and probably a lot of people have today off because it's the day before Thanksgiving. So if you're a P1 and you want to come in, call us right now. 570-1053 if you want to hang out in the studio today. Call us and Rob will screen some calls on it and figure out who can come in. This is P1 Can't Get It Right. You there? I'm right here. What's up, dude? I hear you talking about your mom and dad or your mom.
My dad was a drug addict. My mom didn't know how to take care of her, so my baby should have raised me. My life was nothing but drugs and miscarriage and misfortune. I've been to prison for numerous years. My dad died as a drug addict. I pretty much don't have a life other than being a worker and serving the Lord today. I'm spending the Thanksgiving with my new fiancé and my kid, and I'm fortunate enough to call my mom on her birthday, which is Thanksgiving, and tell her, thank you. That's beautiful. You know what I mean? That is a life turned around. Well, I got to tell you something. I think that that's absolutely wonderful. You had it worse than I did. And everything... Have you ever heard this term, P1, can't get it right? Have you ever heard the term, it's all relative? Have you ever heard that? Oh, well... He's not there anymore. I haven't. Let me explain it to you. Okay. Let me explain it to you. Let's say that your dad...
You love your dad a lot. We know you have this relationship with your dad. Let's say that your dad has a heart attack, passes away. You're very upset about it. And somebody says to you, what are you crying about? My dad got hit by a truck, knocked over, dragged down the street. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's all relative. Like you can only feel what you feel. Somebody else will. Like that guy that just called in. somebody can call in now and go, what's that guy whining about? My parents were murdered, and I went to live in a foster home where I was molested for 12 years, and then they kicked me out of the house. I lived with wolves for 14 years. Wow. Was found when I was 16, living with the wolves. I had now become a wolf. Wow. I had to be taken to a clinic where they would change me from a wolf back to a boy. What? You can always, you know what I'm saying? It's called, it's all relative. Yeah. Paris Hilton, chips and ale on the same scale. Exactly. That's why when Paris Hilton went to jail, it was so, like to her, that was like beyond anything we could ever imagine. She couldn't eat. And she had it good in there. Couldn't sleep. Yeah. So it's all relative. Yeah. I like that. Someone doesn't say happy birthday to Skye. I mean, it's. You know what I'm saying? Exactly. I mean. It's like.
Right, Sean? Don't know what you're talking about. Oh, that's cool. Quimby has a theory about Ashley giving Zeth a hard time. Yes, I do. What is it, P1 Quimby? I already know what she's going to say. What is it, Quimby? The reason she gives him such a hard time is because subconsciously she's attracted to Zeth. Do you know there's like a whole... forum postage of P1s on P1site.com like discussing that means that they're secretly in love with each other. Yes, and I started that post. Thanks, Quimby. She did. She rolls. Awesome. Quimby's pretty awesome. That's the playground mentality. You had to say it, you know, like Lucy, she's secretly in love with Charlie Brown. Oh, so you think I'm secretly in love with Zeth? Well, not secretly, just maybe subconsciously. There's some kind of like sexual thing. So Ashley is Lucy. Ashley's Lucy and... Yes, I am totally... You got me. The sexual tension is there. And it's burning. A lot of times when a girl gives a guy a really hard time, it's because she kind of likes him. Well, listen, Quimby. Or they mess up a lot and they need to get all that. Or they just don't do their job right and they need to get lit up real quick so they can get it right. Or that. But yeah, I totally have a crush on Zach. You got me. Listen, Quimby. I...
First of all, I would like to commend you. I believe that you have a great deal of courage to call in and stand right in front of a pit bull dog and allow her to attack you and maul you. It's exactly like that. It's exactly like that. But this is what I will say, Quimby. I respectfully disagree. I respectfully disagree. I do not believe that Ashley has a crush on Zeth. No, I do. I will tell you why. Save that tape. I will tell you why, Quimby. This is what we're going to do. We're going to take a break. When I come back, I will explain to you why Ashley does not have anything for Zeth. Wonderful. We'll be back. school in New York they tried to ban Mother's Day. They wanted to ban Mother's Day because they said Mother's Day artwork would be upsetting to children from non-traditional families. That's what it's come to. Mother's Day is controversial. Why don't we get rid of every holiday? Let's get rid of Thanksgiving, right? That artwork has to be upsetting to children who are missing fingers. That has to suck. Every year everybody else has that perfect little turkey tracer card, you know? It's not bad enough if your father makes you work the deli slicer, now you got a turkey that looks like its tail feathers are blown up. What kind of garbage holiday?

To change your diaper. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it, that's a flaw in my character. Sky. I'm a wealth of knowledge. It's really difficult. Myself. Myself on my sleeve. The Mikey Show's on. 5-3. Did I tell you guys I got their new album? The Motown hits? Oh, really? It's pretty good. Is it? Yeah, they do a acapella version of this song on there that I don't care for. Is it a... They change it. Is this new stuff that they do? Brand new. Where did they go? Well, no, it's a brand new album, but they're covering Motown songs. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, but I think they were spelunking for about 12 years. Yeah. Just discovered. How did they fall off the map that fast? They went from being one of the biggest bands of their era or generation. So where were they? So where they, you know, because we all kind of grew up around the same time. They were organic. End of the road. That was like a song they played, I think, in my prom. This stuff right here. Every time we play this on the air.
Anybody that's like over 30 years old, and even people in their 20s, because Rob's 24 and loves it. Oh, I listened to all this growing up. But if you're 30 years, especially if you're like between 30 and 45, this stuff is like your oldies. Brings back the greatest memories ever. You can launch this now and kids would be like, oh my God, there's this new band. You're like, no. They did the Motown Philly thing, and Michael Bevins discovered the three bands. Where was the white band, though? That was in the video. Now you're nerding out. Now you're nerding out, dude. Sorry. That's what MTV actually had videos. That was very Dennis Miller. That was references. What did you say his name was? What were you saying? Michael Bevins? Yeah, wow. It's like Michael Bevins with Motown Philly, babe. Remember there was ABC in the video? Boom. Who was the white band? Remember they go to the shot of all the white guys in like white shirts? That's a great question. Whatever happened to them? Sean, do you remember that? I remember ABC. I don't remember this alleged white band we're talking about. I get the feeling Sean was turned off by that point. Like his stuff is much earlier. 70s and early 80s. Hip hop and rap. More the pop. He liked the pop though, didn't you, Sean? Were you over it by the 90s, Sean? Or were you in? He was waving. I think he was.
yeah i guess i was out at that point were you so you didn't like the urban stuff like towards the late 80s the urban kind of like the you know stevie bees uh so soul to soul all that kind of stuff uh yeah i mean i do i do like it but you know it wasn't like boys to men in particular like i i don't know anything about them never was interested in them didn't really care about them um but other groups uh you know like soul to soul was they were a great group um There were some others in there that were really good. They were good. I mean, that was the stuff that I listened to. I grew up in Mira Mesa, so it was pretty diverse. Exactly. Great music. I know Eddie's referenced this before. He didn't even know who they were one time when I dropped this on him. I said, Stevie B? He's like, who's Stevie B? I'm like, are you joking? Listen to that. This is a Mira Mesa dance right now. Rob. In the office, do I still have that, like, 90s Megamix CD? Go check in the office and see if I still got that. It's so funny, dude. Every song will bring back a memory for you.
All right, so welcome back. It's 6.45. The San Diego City Council gave final approval to their beach booze band yesterday. The Chargers lost linebacker Carlos Polk for the season as he was put on injured reserve, suffering a separated shoulder against Jacksonville. He'll be out for the remainder of the season. There is a website created by P1s that is just incredible, and it's called P1site.com. It's P, the number one, site.com. And they have forums on there where people talk about the Mikey Show. And there's seven people on the Mikey Show. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Robbins, Zeth. Zeth is the newest guy on the show. He's only 22. And if you're a new listener, Zeth gets his butt kicked. He's like Jason Newstead just joining Metallica. He's hazed on a regular basis. But he's also... His superior, like his immediate superior, is Ashley. Ashley has him do a lot of stuff. And so when he messes up, she lets him know it. And sometimes, you know, it's not very gentle. It's like tough love with Ashley. Tough love it is, tough love. Certainly. It's how I was raised, and so that's all I know. That's right. Zeth, what he gets is the verbal back of her hand. And, you know, he does this on a daily basis.
Now, it's been discussed on P1Site.com whether or not this is actually an issue of Ashley having a little something for Zeth. And that it's, you know, the schoolyard thing. Like you said, Skye. The playground. Pinching him. Pinching him. And he pulls her pigtails. Exactly, exactly. And then she kicks him in the shin. Yes. And I will clear this up for you. Okay. Zeth is far, far, far too sweet for her to be attracted to him. She would never go out with a guy who would treat her like Zeth would. You know, kind, sweet. That's it. Yeah, she needs more of a bad boy. Now, he looks the part. Yeah, he's got the look. I bet when she first saw Zeth, she was intrigued. Like, thought, hmm. Because I think that your average girl finds Zeth kind of attractive because he's kind of tough looking. Yeah, you're correct. I was intrigued. Yes. Oh, hello.
And it doesn't take long when you meet Seth. You realize he's a teddy bear. No question. He's actually, he's much softer than a teddy bear. And he's like me. He's like me in a lot of ways. Like, I got my right arm is completely sleeved. But I'm actually a very sensitive person. But I like tattoos. And Seth's probably the same way, right? Yeah. You like the tattoos. They look cool. Yeah. But inside, he's a very sensitive guy, just like me. And so Ashley, oh, she... She figures that out in about two seconds. She says this guy. But as his immediate superior, it is what it is. I have high expectations. I disagree with you. I truly think there's something there. I'm not here on a day-to-day basis. But for instance, I got to know Zeth early on by him being on the show as trying to win a position on the show. Remember, going through the whole ordeal of having to be the only male. as part of the show. It was The Apprentice, I believe, right? And so, as I got to know him as well, he's a perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. A perfect example of that. And as you get older in life, you become much more, you know, wiser to, wow, you really can't let those views kind of get in your way. Right. That's a very, very young, good-hearted kind of guy. Right. You wouldn't kind of get that based on his appearance. Maybe you would think he's a little more brash, you know, kind of tough or whatever.
Ashley, though, this is my whole thing. As I've got to know her as well, remembering the first time I ever met her, her working in promotions and seeing her just full of life and loving the energy and everything else that's part of radio. However, though, also being on the show a couple times, watching her transformation a little bit. This is a little different for her. I think this maybe is her in more of a dominant role where she's always been a little bit more of the submissive one in relationships. This is a dominant role for her. He's submissive in their relationship. And I think she... And she's becoming more empowered as we've seen her transformation slowly as a lot of people on the air maybe don't like it now. I think she's taking that into her. Well, she talks about all the time how people call her a lot meaner now since she's come back. I think it's for her this coming out of maybe where she in the past, she was a lot more submissive. Now she's more of a dominant role. And it's with him. She knows that it exists in the workplace. But what's ironic is for them, as much as they have friction, they always show up together. They always drive together to events. You know why, right? She is his white manservant. That goes towards the relationship, though. She is her white manservant. She's the alpha male. That's right. I still think that way back when, I still think down the road that these two have something, but now that Zeph's there. When you say these two, you have to realize it's the radio. You're right.
Point at Skye. And Ashley, no, I mean, Boston Rob and obviously Ashley, we talked about that the last time I was on, about four or five months ago, how there's something, there's a bond between them. I've got to interrupt you. You know what we've never talked about is how uncomfortable it is when you say that now on the radio. And we all get uncomfortable when you say it because you're not here every day. Correct. And so you have no idea how uncomfortable everyone is. Which makes it more fun for me to come in and say these kinds of things. But I think it's this rule we've seen the transformation of. You know, B-Dub, since at one time or another, we've all thought that, but we rarely say it out loud. Rarely. Except when B-Dub comes in and just says it out loud. Well, B-Dub gets to do the hit and run. Extra car takes off and then you don't see him for like a year. So anyway, I think these two will end up together, but I'll see you guys later. Well, it was fun, guys. Check you later. What is that, you motorized scooter?
And to be honest with you, obviously Rob having a relationship, Zeph kind of has replaced that a little bit for Ashley. I think there's definitely a dominant, submissive role with Ashley and Zeph. And I think Zeph, we've seen him as a person, I think he kind of likes it. Okay, but let me, I'm just going to tell you. I don't disagree with much of what you said, except for the fact that she's still attracted to the guys that treat her bad. Oh, no question. She's still attracted to the bad. Guys. Which I'm really trying to break. Like, I'm really, really trying to break that. Personally, I don't believe that you're trying to break it with Zeth. No, not with Zeth. I just, you know, I don't. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be, like, together for two years. Yeah. Yeah, because you've never got together with anyone on radio before. So, I mean... Well, not radio. Hey, hey, hey, hey. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is The Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to say. Rock 105.3. Ever get someone a holiday gift so good you had trouble keeping it a secret? That's how BMW feels this holiday. But I shouldn't say more since the gift is for you.

I want to eventually join a hip-hop group and perform on the weekends. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's 7 o'clock. The doctor who performed cosmetic surgery on Kanye West's mom before she died walked off Larry King's show last night. The Padres officially lost utility man Jeff Blum to the Houston Astros. Blum signed a one-year contract for $1.1 million. Before we went to break, we were talking about how...
Ashley is not attracted to Zeth. You know, because on P1site.com, they talk about this a lot. And I said, no, she's not. But B-Dub, during the commercial, he noticed something. And he said, did you notice? I said, no. B-Dub, why are you doing this? I said, we got to pull that. So we pulled this. This was Ashley before we went to break. Listen to what she said. Listen closely to what she says. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. I'll say. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be, like, together for two years. What? If that were the case. I didn't even hear that. If that were the case. What? Then Rob and I would have already been together now for two years. Which means. Whoa. Well, the only reason that we're not together is because we work together. And Ashley right now is a color of red. Picture a tomato when it's really ripe. Picture a tomato when it's super ripe. Why are you supposed to be a program director somewhere? I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. That is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be together for two years. Is that right? What's up, Pam? What's up, Jim? Oh my gosh. Can we delete that now?
Can I seriously delete that now? Because I wasn't thinking. I'm so dumb. That would have gone right by me. I'm still soaking it in. I'm telling you, that would have gone right by me. I don't know. Is it time to play a game? What do you mean? Aren't we supposed to play a game? Do you want me to dig in that? No, we're not digging. There's nothing to dig. Go ahead, Skye, if you've got that face. Well, I just... We have a game to play. You have the face that you're making, the face. See, I don't want to make Ashley uncomfortable, but I'm like... If I turn her microphone off. She's itching like she's... She's itching her neck like she's doing that. I have an allergic reaction to this. I don't know what's going on. I'm sitting home watching the season finale of my favorite show. And somebody walks in and goes, hey, I got the first episode of next season. Oh, come on. Stop it. And I don't know what to do. I don't want to make her uncomfortable, but I want so much. Please, please, please. I want... Be dumb. You do it.
I'm going to go sit in the car and listen to the radio. As this is the time to give thanks to everything you have. Obviously on the show, we're blessed every day to have this great show and all these things happen. And you have two dynamic parts of the show that have really kind of come into their own over the last couple of years. I would never allow it. Sorry to interrupt. I'd never allow it. I'd never allow it, B-Dub. I would never allow it. What would be worse, you not knowing or you knowing? Oh, wow. What a question. Oh, my goodness. What a question is that? I'm getting so the stink eye right now. And you know what? What would be worse? It is fun for the drive-by. It really is. It's not fun. I'm not trying to make your lives uncomfortable. It's just something that, as a listener and as a friend, that's around. I'm very happy in a relationship right now. And he is. And I want to say that. He has the greatest girlfriend in the world. I'm in love. And he is in love with her. And she's in love with him. And it's a, you know. No denying that. However, Ashley, I think you've said before, too, on the air that you've never had a thing for Rob. I haven't. However, if you guys weren't then on the show together... Wait, wait, wait. What did you say, beat up? I think you've said on the air before that you've never had a thing for Rob. I haven't. Oh, really? Okay, let me turn her mic off real quick and replay this. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. I'll say. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be, like, together for two years. Years? Huh. What is that? That would be... Oh, let's see. It's 2007, 2006.
2005. That's like from that first spark. No spark. But I don't understand. Stop. Coming up tonight on the WB. What did Ashley mean? Application does it have for their future? I think it's stupid, too. Let's get someone else to fill in next time. All right. Can we move on? Hey, BW, you're in it. Disturber. Instigator. You're an instigator. Stop poking the bee's nest. I'm just calling it like I see it. I just wanted to be honest. Keep it real. Isn't that the theme of the show? No, not anymore. Keeping it honest. No, we're fake now. Yeah. We changed. I was on Interstate 5 headed south with my wife. We were at the juncture. The 805. The merge. The merge. And my wife suggested what we're talking about about a year and a half ago.
and we got into such a heated debate about it, about how wrong she was. Yeah, I had that debate with you, too, in the beginning. So are you going to apologize? Well, I mean... You need to apologize to me, too. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be, like, together for two years. Do I want my wife an apology? Can we call Eddie and play this for Eddie? Wait. Oh, he's going to trip. Don't ruin his vacation. And I got it. I got it again. And I mean this from the deepest depths of my heart. He is in love, Rob is. He is in love with someone. And she is a supermodel. Rob didn't say anything. I know. You're right, but he hasn't said anything. Hang on a second. Yeah, he has. No, B-Rob, he has. He has said that he's in love with somebody. There's no denying that. I am in love with her. There's no denying that. I've said that. I know. Wait, is stuff turning on me now? We're all having your back. You haven't been listening. So I am trying to point out
Like, and I mean this with all sincerity because it'll bug me going home if I don't point it out with sincerity. Okay. He is in love. He has a girlfriend. He's very in love with her. And she is one of the coolest chicks. She's perfect for him. I've ever met. She is. They're going to get married. And that's that. Seriously. They're very in love. Yes. That's true. That's why this is all irrelevant. They don't work on a show together. That's why this is all irrelevant. Like, this is all irrelevant. You know that, right? I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. That is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be together for two years. Stop itching that neck, Ashley. It's making me uncomfortable. She's so uncomfortable in there. This is all irrelevant. Can we please play a game or something? I just got the ultimate stink eye. She looked at B-Dub like, can't wait to get into break, big guy. Oh, no. She had the eye of the tiger. There's no question. Let's read an email. Those are good. I'm nervous. Help you relax. Hey, Mikey, just wondering if Skye is aware that her favorite day of the year, other than her birthday, is coming up in a couple days. Skye, before I read the rest of the email, did you know that? Well, Earth Day's in April. The rest of the email says, yes, Skye, it's Black Friday. You like black dudes. P1 Jason. Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. No!
After Thanksgiving is Black Friday, and so... That's the stupidest joke ever. Proud of yourself, 151, whatever. I always forget. Oh, my gosh. How come you didn't mark the halfway point of that back in May? I don't care for Black Friday. I don't like crowds. I don't like lots of people. So I don't do the Black Friday shopping. I think they meant something different. I think they did. Oh, well, they're stupid, okay? I would never go out on that day. Speaking of Eddie, it's like his mother's favorite. He says it is her favorite day of the year. She has a plan. She has a strategic plan of when she's going to leave the house. I think Eddie's wife went with her last year, was caught up in that hailstorm. I was at the doctor's office the other day.
like i got really angry at the receptionist because she said oh so are you going out for the black friday shopping do you do you do black friday shop and i'm like no no i don't and she goes oh my gosh it's so much fun you go and all the people are there and you have your little hot cocoa and like i wanted like literally everything inside of me want to slap the woman i don't know why it angered me so much for a non-violent person that's right i mean who wants the crowd and then hug a tree And she was pregnant, by the way, like nine months pregnant. Oh, my God. It would be so bad. You almost broke the law right there. She was like, oh, it's fun. And it's cold out. And you get your hot cocoa. And I'm like, bleh. I'm the opposite of that person. calling about sleep train. Go ahead. What are you saying? What are you calling to say? Dude, sleep train. I went in there with my fiance about three weeks ago. We're not getting married for like five and a half weeks. I mean, sorry, five and a half months. And they're holding it for us for five and a half months before we get married. That's rad. Yeah, so, and I haven't heard anybody talk about that, so. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, it was way awesome. And on top of that, we got like, I think it was, like a thousand bucks off the deal because we found one on the internet. It was like pretty crazy. That's awesome, dude. Just go into a sleep chain center. Anybody should go into a sleep chain center if they're looking to buy a new bed. That's fantastic. Thank you for the call. Yeah, no problem. Bye. That's who I am as a guy. That's who I am. Yeah, but I don't, I, he doesn't like to hurt people's feelings. KIOZ San Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot.
Eddie. I just want my sandwich like I want my sandwich. Skye. I enjoy presents. What can I say? Sean. I'm Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On Rock 105.3. Dude. Oh. Got the DeLorean up to 88 miles an hour and went back to 92. Nice. Great. Skye. What? You beat up instantly laughing. I got that. I got that. So grenade. It's 7-18. Scientists report a stem cell breakthrough without using embryos. Four-time Pro Bowl tailback, Priest Holmes looks like he's going to possibly retire after re-enjuring his neck in Sunday's loss versus the Colts. So before we went to break, I told you we were going to tell you about Sean being in Best Buy yesterday and having a little issue with a woman. I want to know everything, Sean. How old was she? Was she, you know...
I want to know everything about it, and also, what you didn't tell me when we were off the air is, did you do anything to get her riled up? So, I'm looking at the cameras at Best Buy, and the way they have it set up there, there's like two rows, and then on the end of each row, there's what they call an end cap, where they put accessories and stuff like that for cameras. I was looking for a present for my wife and was on one of the end caps. And when you look at one of those, you're basically standing in the aisle way where people, you know, walk by. So I'm standing there and I hear from behind me a woman saying, excuse me. And I look over my shoulder and I see what appears to be maybe a 50-ish woman, curly gray hair, like salt and pepper hair. She's probably about... five nine maybe even five ten she's pretty tall um definitely overweight probably three bills oh yeah and uh so i start to move and she goes i need to get by whoa rude now i have a question yes were you because i i know you a little bit shawnee oh boy and i know that when you're irritated
He just got a giant smile on his face. What? I didn't. I know what happened. Oh, yeah. What? Some stuff. So when she said to him, excuse me, Sean was going to get out of the way, but he was mad, and so he was going to get out of the way real slow. Sean communicates a lot through body language. Yes. Yes. Well, I was immediately irritated by her tone. I mean, I don't think there's any reason to take that tone with me. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm standing there. I'm looking at something, you know, on this end cap. I'm a patron just like you are. I have every right to be where I am. And you don't have any right to be irritated or snotty or, you know, whatever. So she says that first thing. And so, yeah, I slowly lean on. Because I was bent over looking at whatever was on it. I slowly stand up. I slowly look over my shoulder. And by the time I do that, she's on to the next sentence, which is, I'm trying to get by. So I turn back around again, taking my time. I begin to step away. And she's already pushing the cart now to go by me. And she rams that cart so hard.
Right into my Achilles heel. I mean, like, smashes it into my Achilles heel. Holy crap. That's going to hurt. It hurts so bad. I just went, boom, right to the ground. It's all I could think to do. You smelled at the ground? Yeah, well, I didn't fall, but I kind of, like, collapsed to the ground. Now, are these those kind of carts that are, like, what are the carts like? Like, what hit you? Plastic or metal? No, they're metal, too. They're metal. And it's the kind where it's got, like, this tongue that comes out of the bottom for, like, large boxes. And then a small basket on top that sort of hangs over. So you can put small items in that. And so it's the end of this. Like this tongue that comes out that hit me in my Achilles heel. So what happened? Well, so immediately when she hits me. You punch her in the throat. Yeah, I punched her in the throat. Did you cry? That would be awesome. Yeah, I cried. So immediately, you know, I closed my eyes. Were you wearing a pantasuit? That's a legitimate question. I don't know if he was. It's a legitimate question. He pushed away from the microphone. Whoa, shiny. Well, it was half joking.
But that's going against me having your back right now. No, that's what I'm saying. Like, most of it was a real question. So it wasn't. Because he could have very well been like. Most of it. He could have been like, yeah, I was wearing a panda suit. Right. But judging by his reaction, I guess he wouldn't. Dude, that's my bad. Okay. So continue. So what happened? Then she got mad. These away from me. Go ahead. Continue. Take two. What happened? So I immediately crouched down. I grabbed my ankle and had my eyes shut. In prison? A visual right there. All right, you guys. Why don't we try maturing a little bit? That is good. Okay, why don't we try acting like mature adults? Of course I did. But why don't we all act like grown-ups? Are we children? Yeah, what are we, children? So anyway, Sean, you bend over and grab your ankles. And what happened? I didn't even see him in the camera. He has leaned back out of the camera and put his feet up on the desk. No, that was rude. Oh, now he's got his feet up on the table. Why is he being like that? I don't know. Sean, what's your problem? I'm done. Can I tell the rest of it? Because it was good. Come on. I don't care. Come on, Sean. You tell it.
I don't want to tell it. Stop being a baby. That's a good part where you're grabbing your ankles. Yeah, when you bent over and then you grabbed your ankles and then... Appreciate it. Oh, no. Then he said that she turned from being really angry to being like, oh, I'm so sorry. And then she tried to help him and he was like, get away. Did you press charges on Large Marge? Did you? Yeah, I did. You did? He's being sarcastic. Oh, he's being sarcastic. Yeah, I did. Dad jerks. Did anyone see it in the store? Yeah, Sean. Yeah, everybody. No, that's a good question. That's a good, legitimate question. No, nobody saw it. Oh, dude. I don't know if he's being for real. No, no one saw it. No one saw it. It was just me and this, you know, fat lady. And... You know, she tried to say she was sorry. I didn't want to hear it. I was mad at her. Did you tell her I had every right to be there or any of that stuff? Well, so I'm grabbing the area that I hurt. Your Achilles heel. Yes. Left or right? It was my right. Okay. So I'm grabbing my heel. You don't need to recreate it. Don't do that. That's very funny. Oh, that makes the visual.
So much clearer. Don't bend over and grab your ankles. That's not what he was doing anyway, B-Dub. He was on the ground. I was just trying to get everyone to understand. Yeah, so he was clutching the area. So he wasn't jackknifing. So then what? So then what? So then she comes over my shoulder and she's like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Oh, and we know how much Sean loves when strangers get close to him. Well, I don't like that for sure, but I also don't like it when... I don't like it when people try to apologize to me after they've like purposefully done something. It really pisses me off. And so I turn around, I look at her and I go back off, get away. Wow. In the middle of that. Can you imagine if we could get the security camera? I was thinking the same thing. How scary would that be? Now, at that point, I don't know if anyone, I mean, I'm assuming people heard because I said it really loud. But still, nobody came over, and I don't think anyone was looking, but I don't know. They may have been. Rob's like, I heard it. I heard it. You watch the video back, and it's just the opposite. Sean hits her cart and knocks it over. Get out of my way, lady. Can you picture the dramatization in black and white? Yeah. I want Dateline to recreate it. The redramatization. The really dramatic fall to the floor. Who would you want to recreate it? Sean, who would play you?
Oh, we've already been through this. Yeah, John Goodman. Brad Garrett. Well, you said John Goodman. We say Brad Garrett. Brad Garrett. No, John Goodman. So who would be the lady then that would be hitting you? What would she look like? Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Yeah, yes. Not Rosie. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. No, not Rosie. Rosie O'Donnell. I don't think so. Rosie O'Donnell. What about the chick from the Drew Carey show? Oh, Rosie O'Donnell. Yes. Yeah, more like her if she was about 5'10". Oh, Mimi? Wow. Oh, wow. That's pretty. That's a big lady. Sounds like Rosie O'Donnell. Like a gray-haired Joy Behar when she was grande? Anybody but Rosie O'Donnell. It's different than the way I did it. What? Emergency break. I was like they're throwing the e-breaker at you, isn't it? Like everybody went flying through this. Right. I have a steering wheel in my chest. Everyone's on 15. Oh, cool. Traffic's picking up. Airbag just exploded in their face. You got airbag burned now. Shut up. Do it again. Oh, no. Whoa, that's a convulsion. And I love how she is when she does impressions. Very physical comedian. Very physical comedian. She's close to losing one of her boys, too, when she does that. What does that even mean?

Dear pig in a blanket. For folks that are feeling down. It's not the sweater that's making her look fat. It's her fat that's making her look fat. And it only happens on the Mikey Show. He has been staring at this email the whole break, man. It is 7.35. Oprah did her annual favorite thing show yesterday. Everyone in the audience walked with at least seven grand worth of stuff.
Damn. I know. I wish I was in that audience. Cool. All right, so let me read you this email. Please. You want to tell me during the break? And when I say wait, she flips out. I can't wait. Why do I have to wait? How many years have we been doing this? I'm sitting across from you. Mikey. Oh, so good. Okay, let's go. I listen to your show every day and have never felt compelled to write or call in, but you guys talking about Black Friday this morning really upset me. Do you realize you're using... A racist term. Why do you think they call it Black Friday? It's a term they use because everything is cheap and sold at low prices so that even African Americans can buy them. It's terrible. What? Please don't use that term anymore or you will contribute to racism in this country. Thank you, P1Linda. With a phone number, by the way. Dude. Run that to Ashley. I am shocked.
Ashley, try to get her on the phone when he gives you this email. Okay. Oh, my. And try them both, because it's like a signature at the end of her email. It's like a signature of wherever she works, so it's got all these different numbers, like personal and work and whatever, so try it until you get her. All right. See if she'll come on. That is one of the craziest things I've ever heard. Crazy! That, well, first of all, where does she even get that Black Friday is, that there's a connection? Well, okay, so one time, because I was a sociology major, somebody brought something similar to this, but not involving Black Friday, up in one of my classes, that lots of negative terms involve the word black, like being blackballed. I've heard that, too. I've heard that. You know, but in no way would I have ever connected it to Black Friday. She just made it racial.
In my eyes. Yes, she did. I never thought of it like that. Which to me is racist to think it. To kind of think it is racist to me. To come up with it. To think that that's what it means? Come on. My mind is spinning. Ashley's still trying. Oh my goodness. I wonder what it does mean. Does anyone know why they do call it Black Friday? That would be interesting. But I know it ain't that. It isn't because it's a racist thing. And certainly, people that say Black Friday are not racist. And I don't believe... You got her? You got her? Yes. P1 Linda. Yes. You wrote the email. Yes, I did. And you believe that the term Black Friday is racist. Yes, I do. And you believe it because you say that the... The reason that this is called Black Friday is because even African Americans, poor African Americans, are able to purchase products, and that's why they call it that. That's right. That's why they call it Black Friday. So you just confirmed what I suspected, which is this is what you have decided it means. No, I just think that it's a rude thing when they take the cheapest day of the year.
And where everything is on sale and you see the video footage on the news of all those black people trying to buy things and trampling each other. Have you seen them trample each other? Okay, and you're saying that you believe that it's racist. You don't believe that you are racist. You're upset that this is being used in a way that is racist. That's right, because they're saying, come on, black people, it's cheap, get in here. And then they videotape them. They're not. Linda, they're not doing that. Do you have a color television? Because maybe that's why you're confused. Yeah, maybe it's that she's got the wrong deal going on with a TV. I don't know what that means, but I'm saying... I didn't either, BWM. Maybe she's not saying that it's all races and everyone going and getting deals, not just... African-American people. Because if she only has a black and white television, she can't. She thinks that everybody's either black or white. That's a great line. I wish I'd gotten it when it happened. Sorry. I'm not saying that everybody that goes to those sales are black. I'm saying that calling it black so that they go, oh, come on, black people, it's your day. Oh, come on. It's your day? But don't you realize, Linda, that that is, in fact, racist of you to assume that?
No, no, it's not. I like black people. I just think that they've had enough to deal with. Wait a minute. I think that's crazy. Skye, you have the origin of the word. Yeah, well, as soon as you read the email, it made my head start to spin. So I Googled it, Black Friday racist, just to see if this is like a thing. And it is a thing. Google master. Like, there's forums. Like, people are talking about, is this racist? Are you serious? Right. And then I Googled origin. Please tell me that this is not right. Dude. And then I Googled origin of Black Friday, and it's actually a positive thing. This is the day that the retailers take the turn into the black. into making positive money, getting out of the red and getting into the black. So for retailers, it's Black Friday because this is when they start to make money. So Linda, that's not what your theory is not correct. Unless the man like made that up or something. Who? The man. Who's the man? You know, the man in finger quotes. Who's the man? The man.
She still doesn't care. Okay, never. Well, I don't know. I just think I've always, I always thought it was rude, and I heard you all today. Yeah, but that. I just kept saying it over and over and over. That's not. I said it like three times. That's probably what they call it in Clan T, where you live. Hey, V-Dev, come on. Hey, V-Dev. What would you like it called? What would you prefer this big shopping day to be called with all the sales? I don't know. Sale? Oh, shit. Oh, my. Great. We'll work on it. All right, Linda. Jewish Friday or Latino Friday. Yeah, but ma'am, did you understand what Sky explains? It's not about race. That it's a retail term from red to black because the retail is profiting? Yes. Do you understand that? They don't call it Latino Friday and they don't call it white Friday. And they don't call it African American Friday. Right. They call it Black Friday because of the retail. The retail aspect of it. The retail aspect. All right, great. Thank you. I thought Latino Friday was in May. Thank you.
Thank you, Linda. Thank you, Linda. I think we upset Linda. That is maybe the craziest thing I've ever heard. I've never heard that. Who's the man? Come on, Black Friday. Haven't you seen those black people trampling each other? Trampling each other? What? What? Like, what the hell? I mean, occasionally people get trampled on Black Friday, but it has nothing to do with race. Just people who want... a good price on a DVD player. She's now ruined the stay for me in terms of for the rest of my life. The fact that she brought that connotation to it. Right? Now you can't shop on that day? Well, like he did before. Yeah, I never really went out. P1, Connie, are you there? Connie, are you there? Hello? Connie, I kind of beg you to be there. Miss Chung, are you there? Yes. That exhausted me.
What about her just screaming at you? She was screaming at you at one point. Yeah, there was definitely a tone in her voice. I was really trying to do my best to not say, hey, you're crazy. That was the tone I heard. I don't want to be that guy anymore, though. I don't want to say, hey, you're crazy. But now I'm admitting that that's what I thought in my head. I thought maybe she was crazy. That's crazy! I thought there was a good possibility she was crazy. Yeah. Mikey Show, hello. What is going on? I don't know. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, it's P1 Penguin. Hi, Penguin. Yes! Hey! The term Black Friday was told to me, I was the retail manager for a while, and I was told that it's because, not only because of the price thing, but you're open when it's dark outside, or it's black, pretty much. Oh, racist. And then you're closed when it's dark outside. That is not correct. But then aren't you out there and you're like, come on, black people! Don't they tell you, like, only on that day to be like, come on, black people!
All right, it's Black Friday, folks, so all African Americans to the front line, start your trampling. May the trampling begin. Oh, my gosh. Thank you for the call. That even actually makes a lot more sense, the fact that at least, like, for instance, we talked about it off the air, some of these sales are starting at 4 o'clock in the morning when the set isn't even up. That's true. Anything makes more sense than what she said. George Bush doesn't care about black people. Mikey Show, hello. Oh, the man. He doesn't show. All right, let's do this. Who's the man? A new study says that blonde women make men act dumber. How do I follow that? Federal prosecutors in Virginia filed a court motion seeking to freeze over $900,000 of Michael Vick's assets to assure he can make restitution for the care and disposition of pit bulls. Really? Over $900,000. That's a nice chunk of change. Oh, my. Welcome back. Got P1 Danny in the studio from P1Site.com.
Good morning, San Diego. How you doing, man? With the camera. So cool. So, dude, I want to send you to New York and get you. I saw yesterday. We were watching the Today Show. Yeah. They do let call letters out there. Really? They had people holding up signs from radio stations. And so I'm like, well, they obviously allow it. We got to send them out there. Yeah, let's do it. Yeah, yeah. We'll send you the Today Show and have you get P1 site, MikeyShow.com, the whole thing. It'll be awesome. Definitely. Okay. So let's have a little fun. Let's do a little of this. Now, the Mikey Show presents the search for the truth behind the words and the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play Lyrical Gangster. Ashley, what is the prize today for Lyrical Gangster? We're going to be giving away Warren Miller prize packs, which includes a four-pack of tickets to his new movie and a $50 gift certificate to Sport Chalet.
Very nice. Wait, what was that? I thought she said Ash. I did, too. I was like, wow. I did, too. I was like, wow, she's really into it. And by into it, I mean her. All right, let's play a little lyrical gangsta. Let's get somebody on the phone. And this is, let's see, P1 Matt. Are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Matt, how are you? I'm doing great. I'm getting ready for that Black Friday, huh? There you go, dude. There you go. Looks like Sky. Yes, Skye is really excited about Black Friday. Will you just stop? All right, dude. The way that Lyrical Gangsta works is we are going to ask you a question about song lyrics. You have five seconds to answer the question. Do you understand the rules? Yes. Okay, here is your first question. In the song, Sweet Dreams Are Made of This by the Eurythmics, what has she traveled? Seven Seats.
You are so close, I'm going to give it to you. It's the world and the seven seas. Not bad, dude. Hang on the line, okay? That's pretty good. It's pretty generous of you two, being Thanksgiving and all. Really? Some people would say the world and the seven seas. I thought seven seas close enough, but I have a heart. I have a heart, D-Dub. Yeah, I'm like D-Dub. I'm like the cold. I'm saying it's great for Thanksgiving. I'm like that cold, filthy cave you call a heart. Wow. P1 Jeff? What's up, Mikey? You ready to play a little lyrical gangsta? I'm ready. Let's do it. Your question is, in the song Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice, what does he suggest is a felony? Anything less than the best. Anything less than the best is a felony. You got it. Hang on the line. B-Dub is giving karate kicks. Karate kicks. Wow.
P1 Spaceboy is on. Oh, the best. Spaceboy? Yes. Spaceboy, I have a feeling you're going to be pretty good at this. Let's give it a shot. All right, here we go. Your question is, in the song Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warren's, where do eagles cry? I... You are coming! Save. Nice. That was good. That was good. I... Very well done, Space Boy. We are three for three. Wow. Hang on the line. P1 Pablo Escobar is on the line. That's creepy. Okay. Pablo Escobar, are you ready to play Lyrical Gangsta? Yep. All right, here we go. Your question is, in the song You're Beautiful by James Blunt, where did he see her face? In the sky. Come on, guys. That's not a gangsta. In the sky. Oh, okay.
Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong is a gangsta song. Very gangsta. In fact, Tupac originally recorded it. And then Joe Cocker loved the Tupac version so much that he asked Jennifer Warren to do a duet of it. That is incorrect. The answer is he saw her face in a crowded place. I'll never forget, you know, Sky knows exactly how metrosexual I am. So when she first heard that song, she thought I would love it. I did. I thought you'd love the whole album. I was excited to hear this new song she kept telling me about. And then I heard, you know. Kermit the Frog starts singing. I saw your face. That's the song I auditioned with American Idol. I would think you'd like it as well. Yeah. I mean, I likes boys, likes boys. You know, wait a second. It's not boys, likes boys. It's boys, likes girls. Oh, I'm sorry. That sounds really masculine. P1 Thelma. Oh, Thelma. Thelma, how are you?
I'm doing good. Hi, Sky. Hi, little firecracker. All right, Thelma, you ready to play Lyrical Gangsta? I'm going to do my best. All right, we're good. Your question is, in the song I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, what does she want you to put in the jukebox? She wants you to put another dime in the jukebox. You got it. All winners. Hang on the line, Thelma, okay? Yes. Again, Ashley, would she win? She got the Warren Miller prize pack and you're getting a $50 gift certificate to Sports Chalet and a four-pack of tickets to Warren Miller's new movie. I love lyrical gangsta. He's so much fun. All right, don't go away. We got to talk about this when we come back. Kanye West's mother died after plastic surgery. It was with a doctor named Jan Adams. This doctor went on the Larry King show last night and walked off. We have the audio of it next.

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. Hey, the ride this morning has been an easy one in Alder County Freeway. It's still looking pretty nice out here for you. There is a traffic alert, though, into South Bay, right near the border, actually. It's northbound 5, just past the San Diego trolley station near the San Ysidro line, blocking the fast lane. You're being advised, oh, boy, that. Other than that, that 5 all the way into downtown looking great. 805 north out of the South Bay, up completely up to speed. No worries out of the East County. South 15, a minor delay near Rancho Bernardo. Right now, the Coast Airways looking great as well. South 5 looking fantastic from Oceanside all the way down to the border. A little congestion, though, around the Lindbergh Field for good reason. The Harbor Drive near the airport, a little tight, but things are on time, and there's no delays on the flights heading out of town right now. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Real tasty. Real nice. Real fresh. Yeah, real fresh. You want to take a nice bite of radio? Seconds, please. KIOZ San Diego. This is the Mikey Show. I think it's... Featuring Mikey. Mikey is a very judgmental jerk, and I fight that. I do not like Killer Whales, no. Okay. Sky. Sean. I don't. Boston Rob. How do I turn memory law? And Ashley. I'm not that great anyways. The Mikey Show's on. Come on. 105.3. I was listening to this CD on my iPod.
in the limo on the way to the Harris Hotel and Casino in Lake Tahoe for Eddie's bachelor party. I love Jamiroquai. I understand. Come on. I understand. Not fair. It's 8.07. An L.A. hospital almost killed Dennis Quaid's newborn babies after giving them a major overdose of a blood thinning drug. J-Roll, the Philly shortstop Jimmy Rollins, knocked off Rocky's outfielder Matt Holiday to win the National League MVP award. I want to hear his voice all show long, right? Like, all show long, and then... He's like the Seidler. He just sneaks up on you, boom. He's like the what? I don't know. Like, no one got that. I love B-Dub's references, because I don't get them. I am random references. It's the Seidler, remember from Seinfeld? The guy that just all of a sudden they made him put Tic Tacs in his pocket? You don't know he's there, all of a sudden he just drops one on you? Where's Eddie? We're going to get like three... Well, look at a few emails. People go, dude, yeah, Seidler, Seinfeld. Somebody? That was a pretty out there reference, B-Dub. It's funny because even when you do make those references around Eddie, sometimes he will just shake his head at you like, how dare you. He gets all of them and he just sometimes is like, you shouldn't have used that one. That was just really uncalled for. So, Larry King, last night, his guest was Dr. Jan Adams. And I wonder, is it Jan?
Because usually when a guy spells his name J-A-N, it's Jan, but maybe it is Jan. Oh, I don't know. Well, anyway, I'm sure we'll hear Larry King ribbit about it, but... He's the plastic surgeon that operated on Kanye West's mother, and then Kanye West's mother passed away. That camera is making me so uncomfortable, and it's so distracting. Why? What's going on? Well, at least it's small. He won Danny. Aw. Yeah, I know. At least it's small. P1 Danny has basically a Panavision motion picture camera. Exactly. It's so gigantic, Danny. Where is that thing from? Is that like an older camera? Is that the deal? Not at all. It's actually a professional camera. Holy Toledo. It's so giant. It's like a news cruise in. And I love it. I mean, I want to be able to tape stuff, put it on P1's site. But as the whole time I'm doing whatever, I'm like, there's a Panavision camera. Like Robert Zemeckis is going to walk in here any minute and cut.
It's too tough, too tough. I can't do it. Something shiny. Yeah, exactly. Okay, so Dr. Jan Adams, a plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother, he goes on Larry King and he walks off the show. As soon as I opened CNN.com this morning, it was the front... page story well so he wanted to go on because you know kanye's mom died um after while she was recovering from surgery from cosmetic surgery um but there are since this story broke there have been claims that there have been malpractice suits against this guy that he's gotten duis that just shady kind of stuff in this guy's past and so the point of him going on larry king is he wanted to clear the air and set the record straight here's the deal if if this guy is like a bad Doctor, it's surprising to me because you would think that somebody with Kanye West's influence and, you know...
And with the money. The money that he would have found like the greatest plastic surgeon ever. But like we said earlier in the week, another doctor came forward saying that Kanye's mom came to him wanting the same procedure. And he said, you need, because of your age and your health history, you need a full medical workup before I'll do this to you. Here's your appointment for your medical workup. Once this is done, then we'll talk about if this is possible for you. She never went to that appointment and he never heard from her again. And then ends up going to this guy. And let's find out what actually killed her. Let's find that out. Like what her actual death was caused. Yeah, I don't think that information is being released. It's not? Have they ever said what she was actually getting done? A tummy tuck and a breast lift or reduction. So we don't know what killed her? No. We just know she did the surgery and died. So here's the doctor on Larry King Live. Cut one. And we now welcome to Larry King Live Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who performed plastic surgery on the Lake Donda Weston. I understand you want to say something. Yeah, Larry, what I really want to say is I want to thank you for this opportunity. Basically, I had come here to talk about things in the press that aren't accurate about me. But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family, and they've asked me not to go on. And I've said from the very beginning, I don't have a side in this. They are my side. And so I'm going to respect their wishes. And I'm going to apologize to you.
Because I think I'm taking up your air time. But I will not be on the show and I will not discuss any of that. I'm going to honor their wishes. Meaning you won't answer any questions about anything? None. How will you ever answer questions? Where does this go? Well, I will talk with them. I will talk with them. When they're comfortable, then I'll be comfortable. If they're never comfortable, then I'll never be comfortable. They are what's important to me. I said that from the start, and that's what I'll continue to honor. They're just a few things having nothing to do with them. Don't you want to speak out? If you came here to speak out, that's honor their wishes. But you're not honoring their wishes. You just, you just, you came on. So that's not honoring their, honoring their wishes would have been not coming on. But we paid for your flight. Put you up in a really nice hotel. Everyone thinks this, what I'm saying, right? Like we're all thinking that? Or am I missing something?
Guy said, I'm here to tell you that I'm not coming on, but even though I'm on. Yeah. Well, what are you thinking now? I don't know. Are you guys thinking phone call last second? You go on, and we're going to make your world miserable. Right, right. You have an agreement with us. Yeah, if they said they didn't want you to go on from the beginning, yet you're still there at that point, don't you think something else happened right before you went on the air? It sounds that way. For to freak him out? It sounds that way. Wow. My next guest is... The coolest celebrity I've ever met, period. And I always say, since meeting him, anytime anybody ever brings up people that I've interviewed and meeting people and whatever, I always say this next guest before I say who it is. I also want to say that when he was in here, you know how Eddie and I have always had the discussion about Giada's breasts?
I asked about it, and I felt terrible ever since, and I want to apologize to him. I shouldn't have asked. Mike. What? I felt bad. Well, I'm sorry you felt bad, but cut yourself a little slack sometime, okay? I shouldn't have asked. You're a normal person. It was inappropriate. I shouldn't have. Please. It was inappropriate. It was evil. Okay, Sean. He's calculated. I mean, Mike, have you heard some of the things I've said to our guests? Please. I know, but I shouldn't have asked that. I mean, how could you even live with yourself? Sean, come on, bro. Tyler Florence is on the line. Tyler, are you there? I'm here, Mikey. How you guys doing, man? No, I'm doing good, man. Hey, Diego, what's happening? You are my favorite guest that we've ever had on. You know, let me tell you, that was such an impromptu little stop by because you were nice enough to come to my book signing at Cerro La Table last year when we cruised to San Diego. And then you said, you've got to come do my show. And then my assistant...
She absolutely worked it out. She was great. And then we made it happen. And it was so fantastic, man. I got to hang out with your studio for like an hour, dude. It was great. I've never had a guest before or since that has been as gracious as to do something like that. And it was really nice. And I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you very much. How you guys doing? How you been? We've been good, man. And I want to play you a clip from yesterday. And this was the great cranberry debate from yesterday. This happened on our show yesterday, Tyler. You take the frozen whole cranberries. You stick them in a saucepan. You add a lot of sugar. You put some cinnamon sticks in there. A little orange zest. This guy, he wants his cranberry sauce that tastes like cinnamon. Why do you want chunks of fruit in your sauce that goes on your meat? Why do you guys want... If you guys want that, why don't you just go to the grocery store and buy cranberry-flavored jelly? It was the great cranberry debate. I say the only way to do cranberry sauce is homemade. Everybody in here is like, no, you have to have it out of the can. I'm reciting the most delicious recipe. It's Tyler's recipe. It's the most delicious cranberry sauce ever. Ever. Am I right? Ever. Ever. It's complex, dude. And some people aren't ready for complex, man. Some people want, some people...
Need simple. You know what I mean? Yep. And it's great because it came from the episode that you did on Thanksgiving where you're making a Thanksgiving dinner and you're making it easy and you said, you know, my mom has this way of making this homemade cranberry sauce but it always has these little ridges like a can. I don't know why she does it every year, man. She spins up and she's up all night carving this cranberry sauce to look like the shape of it inside of a can. And I'm totally blown away. I just think she's such an artist and a craftsman. Exactly. Exactly. Now, Tyler, this year, for people that are doing their first Thanksgivings, what are the main points that people need to remember when they're trying to do Thanksgiving for the first time? First of all, Mikey, what you guys got to do is you got to keep it simple, man. You really can't overstretch what you can do. You can't overstretch your oven space. A lot of people kind of get... kind of wrapped up and bogged down with, you know, I'm going to bake a pie, I'm going to roast this, I'm going to cook that in the oven. And you realize I only got one oven and the turkey takes three and a half hours, you know, so all of a sudden you can't do anything else. A lot of people get really, really bogged down in detail. So there's a couple things you need. You've got to have the turkey and you've got to have the gravy. And then with that, you've got to have some kind of potato. I like to do sweet potatoes, right? And then I'll either roast those or even just kind of come up in pieces.
And simmer them in a little bit of salt and water so they start to fall apart. And then you can rice them like you're making regular mashed potatoes. Or you can put them into a tabletop mixer and just whip them. A little bit of fresh banana. I like some cinnamon. I like a little bit of orange zest in that. And even a little bit of pure maple syrup in that. It's fantastic. You get a really delicious sweet dish to go along with the turkey. And then I like a little bit of mashed potato as well. And then something green. Right? My family likes Brussels sprouts. Some people really love a good green bean casserole. Yes, yeah. You know, you could really just do something green, some kind of green vegetable. And then the sky's the limit, for the most part. Then we're just talking about cranberry sauce. Now, you can really get a lot more elaborate than that, but for the most part, I think we're covering all the bases here. Turkey gravy, I think two kinds of potato. And, of course, you've got to have the stuffing. So that can either go inside the bird, which I prefer, because you're doing... You know, you're killing two birds with one stone. I get it. Yeah. You know what I mean? And then for the most part, like, so let me, can I add one more layer to the great cranberry debate? Yes. Okay, here is a new cranberry recipe I came up with, and you don't have to cook anything. You guys ready for this? Yeah. Okay, so you take fresh cranberries, not the fresh frozen, but the fresh cranberries. Right. You put them into a food processor. Then you add, like, a quarter cup of really good Torbinado organic sugar. All right? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Stop there.
How do you get it? You get the grocery store. The sugar, I'm telling you, sugar, is this your salt, dude? There's so many different kinds of interesting sugar out there. Okay, but are they selling that? Can we get that at just a regular local grocer, or do we have to go to a specialty food store? No, no, just walk down the same aisle that you pick up any kind of sugar whatsoever. Right, right, right, sugar. Five-pound bag of sugar. Right. Just try to get some turbinado sugar. It's really, really good, because what they do is when they... It's an organic process, which means that they don't strip out the natural molasses. Once they have kind of bleached white sugar, it really kind of takes all the flavor and the nutrients out of it. But the turbinado sugar is just basically organic cane juice cooked down, and it starts to crystallize, and it's fantastic. Also, it's the only thing I can put in my coffee these days. So when you put that in with the cranberries, you blend it all up. Okay, the cranberries, right? Turbinado sugar, right? A little bit of orange zest. and a little splash of Grand Marnier. You put the top on, and you grind it up, and you make a relish out of it. It is sensational. It's got a really interesting balance to it. It's a little tart from the cranberries, a little sweet from the sugar, and the Grand Marnier totally balances the whole thing out, and it is awesome with turkey. Nice. And you have to cook a thing. Here is one of my biggest questions with a turkey. I never know where to stick that probe.
And it freaks me out for whatever reason. Every year, every time I stick the probe somewhere in the turkey, I think it's the wrong place. I always feel like I'm doing it the wrong way. And I'm always thinking I'm stabbing the bone and I'm getting a temperature off the bone, which I know I'm not supposed to. So how do you do it the right way, Tyler? Well, let's say a 12-pound turkey, which I wouldn't really recommend cooking a turkey any bigger than that because they're too old or too big or too tough. And then they're not succulent, right? At that point, it's like an old stew and chicken. It's just not really good for anything. But like a turkey sandwich, maybe. But like, so you've got a nice 12 to 13 pound turkey. It's in the oven for, you know, three, right at three hours. And I like to cook it because of sort of a gentle temperature, like 325, 350, something like that. Some people like to cook it at a high temperature and drop it down. I think it's way too complicated. I think you put it at 350 and you let it go. It does its own thing. And then you get a super crispy skin. Now we think it's done. All right, you take it out. It's got this beautiful golden color. Skin's nice and crisp. Smells fantastic. A couple of things you can take a look at. First of all, you want to grab the leg with the kitchen towel, okay, and just give it a little twist. If it feels like, God, I could totally just kind of pull this thing away, you're perfect. You shouldn't even have to pull out a thermometer. If it's a little stiff, if it feels like, God, I'd really like to put some effort behind this, grab it into the thermometer and stick it into the thigh, right?
And what I like to do is almost, if you can kind of feel where the thigh bone of the turkey itself is, go a little underneath that, right? And you kind of stick it in. It's about an inch and a half because that's where the most accurate temperature on an instant read the monitor is going to be, right? And then it should read somewhere between 155 and 160, and you're in great shape. I'm writing that down. 155, 160. Yeah. Okay. And the thigh. Exactly. Now, if it starts to kind of scream at like 170, 180, you know, they just take it out immediately. It's been there too long. Tyler Florence told the story when he was in the studio that one Thanksgiving at his family's house, Katie Couric called him on his cell phone. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's great. Didn't you say to her, like you were on the Today Show and you just kind of like randomly said to her, hey, if you have any problems, you know, give me a call? Well, she said to me, she goes, what are you doing for the holidays? I said, well, you know, I'm cooking for my family. And she goes, you know, I'm cooking for my family and I'm so scared to death to do it. She said she was making a beef tenderloin and a couple of other things and a turkey. And I said, well, here's my card. If you've got any questions, just call me. I'll talk you through it. And then Thanksgiving morning, I'm cooking with my family. All of a sudden, the phone rings, and it's this block number. Because I figured everybody that I ever want to talk to is actually here in this one room, so I don't know who it is. And then I pick it up, and it's Katie Couric. And she said, listen, I'm getting ready to put this turkey in the oven. I don't know exactly what I'm doing. Help me out. So I talked to the whole thing, and it was great. How crazy is that, man?
Have you talked to her since and know how it turned out? Yeah, well, you know what? I haven't talked to her since she switched over to CBS, because I would just bump into her at the Today Show when I did that, but she said it was great. She had a really good time. That's awesome. Cool, yeah. Tyler, do you have anything that you want to tell people about? Like, are there shows we should be watching? Are there cookbooks? books we should be buying. Is there anything going on that you want to let us know about? Well, yeah, you know, Tyler's ultimate out on the bookstores right now, and it's the latest book that goes along with the television series. We just wrapped up 13 brand new episodes. I decided to bring a three-year deal with the Food Network, so we're all excited about that. And I just shot, it's my 11th year on television, man. Dude, that is so great. Awesome! We're still on the bus, we're happy to be there, and the food, I think it's better than it's ever been. Do you have your restaurant going on in New York? Well, here's the deal. We've moved. I don't know if I told you. I'm in San Francisco now. Oh, really? Oh, dude. Yeah, man. West Coast, baby. Well, here's the deal. Our sound effects guy is in San Francisco. He actually, we look at him on a little camera dealie here, and we connect via satellite. But he's in San Francisco. What's the name of the place? Well, here's the deal. We are working on a lot of really great projects here in San Francisco. We're doing a restaurant in downtown in this old hotel that Alfred Hitchcock shot Vertigo in.
Sean, do you know where that is? No, I don't. Okay, because Tyler, we only got one guy in the Bay Area. You're talking to San Diego right now, but we got a guy up in the Bay Area, so I wanted to be able to let you give the plug to the restaurant if you wanted to. Yeah, yeah, totally. So it's going to be open in May, so we're working on that, and we're also working on a retail kitchen shop, which is going to be great, too. It's going to be called the Tyler Florence Shop, and it's going to be the coolest kitchen story I've ever seen in your entire life. Will you be back in the San Diego area for anything? You know what? We are going to plan our big calendar for 2008. And when we do, man, we'll give you a shot and we'll come by. And I'd love to do some remote with you or do some kind of like... Big gag or just come and hang out with me in the studio, whatever we can do, man. Dude, that would be so great, Tyler. I always appreciate it when you come on. And for those of you listening that are like, hey, I didn't catch all the stuff that he said about the turkey, we'll podcast it so that people can know exactly how to cook their turkey. And, dude, thank you so much, Tyler. It's a pleasure to have on, man. Hey, guys, thanks so much. Remember, just keep it simple, dude. Simple as possible. Don't overstretch. Have your friends kind of help out. Make it a potluck if you feel like it's really over your head.
But just kind of relax and have a good time. And if the turkey's not ready yet, just open up another bottle of wine. I like it. Oh, here's a question for you. Tyler Florence does a million shows on the Food Network. I was watching an old episode of Tyler's Ultimate. Next time people are in New York City, where's the best place to get pizza, in your opinion? You know, there's a couple places, man. It's always like the big debate. There's Patsy Grimaldi's, which is underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. which is absolutely fantastic. There is Lombardi's, which is on Spring Street, which is actually America's oldest pizza parlor. It's open right after World War I. And there's a bunch of places. There's John's on Bleecker, which is fantastic. I think you've got to find somebody who's cooking pizza in a coal oven. And my last one for you is, because I ask this of everybody that knows New York. Best place in New York, in your opinion, Tyler Florence, to get a steak? To get a steak? Mm-hmm. Wow. You know what? I think what is, like, really, really old school... Can I read you answers that I've got from other people? Because I always write them down in this pad that I got. Italian steaks, Masaleria in the Meatpacking District. I don't know if you... Have you heard of that place? No, I haven't. I got that one. And Loop... Wait a minute. This is great Italian food.
Lupa, which is, what's his name? To get a steak? No, no, no. You want to go to Lupa and get steak? No, this is Italian. That was Italian. Oh, yeah. Steak was Macellaria, and that's the only one I got. I thought I had more. You know what? Lupa itself, it's not like, I got to tell you, it's not the best Italian in New York City by any means whatsoever. There's a couple places you got to check out, man. You want to go to a restaurant. where the chef is still in the kitchen every night, you've got to go to a place called Peasant. It's on Elizabeth Street between Prince and Spring. Frank DiCarlo is a really good friend of mine. I've known him for 15 years. His food is off the chart, and he lives and breathes Italian food, and it is sensational. Where is that located? It's on Elizabeth Street between Prince and Spring. Sweet, man. I always like to give this info because it's the most visited place in the world, and so when people are ever there... Everybody always wants to know where's the best place to do this, the best place to do that. And let me tell you, the best place to get staked is Peter Luger's in Williamsburg, man. I'm writing it down. Have you been there? Nope. Next time you go, go across the bridge, get a car service because there's no cabs once you get out of there. Right. And say it again. Kind of middle of nowhere. But Peter Luger in Williamsburg, it's one of the oldest steakhouses in the country. I'm telling you, it is.
I'll put all this on the website so if anybody's visiting New York, they can check it out. Williamsburg is the name of this place, and I'm guessing that's like Brooklyn area? Well, yeah, it's right across the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn. Peter Luger is the name of the place. Peter Luger. You've got to go to Lugers, man. It is the bomb, though. As always, Tyler, you're the greatest, and thank you, man. Thanks so much, dude. Let's do this all the time. I'm on the West Coast now, so I'll get up with you, man. So you came out here? You're now in L.A.? No, I'm in San Francisco. So much has happened, dude. I got married. Really? Yeah, man. Congratulations. Yeah, I got married. I got a brand new baby. I got a five-and-a-half-month-old little boy. And is Miles doing good, too? Yeah, Miles is great, man. As a matter of fact, I just picked him up from his mom's house in South Carolina. We're having a great time. We're just cooking away right now. The house smells fantastic. We're getting ready for tomorrow. That is awesome. Awesome! That is awesome. And congratulations on the new baby. Yeah, dude. Thanks so much, man. Listen, you guys have a great Thanksgiving. And, Mike, you got my number, dude. If you want me to talk you through it, just give me a call, okay? You got it. Thank you, Tyler. We appreciate it, man. All right. Talk to you guys later. We'll see you.
Might as well end the show now. Wow. I want to hang out with him now. I really do. He's way cool. Such a cool guy. I'm telling you, I mean, I can't tell you how many celebrities I've met over the course of 20 years doing radio. This was, real quickly, the story of when I met him. First of all, I'm so excited to meet him. Yeah, like you were geeking out prior to the book signing. Which made me a little nervous. Like, I've never seen you geek out so bad. Well, what I say about when it made me a little nervous, a lot of times when you're really excited to meet somebody, they turn out to be not so nice. Right. And you get disappointed. You don't want that. So, he was late showing up to the book signing at Sir La Table in Carlsbad. So, already I'm like, uh-oh. Uh-oh. He drove himself there. No, like... Give me a car, blah, blah, blah. He drove himself there and he's walking up and he's like 50 yards away and he's like, you guys, I'm so sorry. I got lost. I'm so, so sorry. And instantly you're like, what a cool dude. He stayed at that place till nine o'clock at night until everybody's single book was signed. He's signing all these books for everybody and every, and you know, you know, like there's really cool people and some people are just like,
They want to like get their hands all over him and stuff. And he's cool about it. Like he's letting people take pictures. And like when they're real pushy, he's cool about it. So I say, hey, dude, my name is Mikey. I got this radio show. And I'm saying it knowing he's not going to do it. But I want to throw it out there. Any chance you would want to come on the radio tomorrow? He goes, dude, dude, I'll come by. I'll come by the studio. I'm like, you got to be kidding me. So I'm thinking, okay, I'm probably getting blown off. Right. But I gave him the number. He called the next morning. Yeah, because you came in the next morning and told me and Eddie this. And we're like, yeah, right. And I was, yeah, right, too. I mean, I was right along with it. I was like, yeah, right. So he calls here. Yeah. Talks to Eddie. Eddie gives him directions. And he drives down here. And then you just heard him. And he's like the nicest person on planet Earth. So anyway, we'll podcast that. teaches you exactly what do you think he's so for real like that my wife and i whenever we watch his show there was something he always did like when he's kind of telling he's like he always will say okay okay yeah yeah yeah okay and it was something that like we're like wow he says that a lot it was kind of thing that stood out for us but like my wife just texted me she's like yeah it was it was he would kind of do that but when he was talking to us he's like you know man right great man right but he like he's able to kind of relate
and understands, like, when he's on maybe the Today Show, it's a little bit more professional. He wants to come on very conversational, dumbed it down for, like, maybe the average listener that could really kind of relate to what he's saying so he's not trying to be too technical. I think that's the deal. I love guys that are able to... Like, read. Yeah, read the kind of, you know, audience or the kind of people who they're talking to. That was fun. So, okay, don't go away. We got a bunch of stuff to tell you. That Ashley clip... Oh, let it go. Let it go? Let it go. Let it go? Yeah, let it go? No, don't. I mean, it's so crazy. It's not crazy. Isn't it kind of crazy? No, it's not crazy. Sky's saying, yeah, it's crazy. That's crazy! I love Ashley, so I want you to let it go, but at the same time, it is a spicy meatball. I don't think my wife heard it. I haven't gotten an email or an IM from my wife about it. Oh, and you would. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on. Next.

Signed, Seidler from Seinfeld. Thank you. That's P1 Joey. Welcome back. P1 Penguin is in the studio. And so in just a little bit, I'm going to be doing a cranberry test. I'm going to tell you which I prefer. I've never had canned. Ever? No. Isn't that crazy? That's weird. Never had canned. That's awesome. And I have no desire to have canned. Right. He thinks it's going to taste like a can. Well, I think it looks like jelly. That's why I never ate it. I always thought it was gross. Plus, it was sweet, and I was always like, well, why would we be eating that with turkey? Then I had the homemade, and I said, okay, I get it. And the homemade is good. Anything from a can just seems weird.
If you could have fresh green beans, why would you want to eat them out of a can? Because you don't have the time to sit there and make it. Exactly. But let's say you do have the time. You know, 20 minutes. Thanksgiving Day. Make some cranberry sauce. I wouldn't have known it was that easy, though. Like Tyler talked about, the relish form. I printed the recipe for Tyler Florence's cranberry sauce for Boston Rob. It's like two sentences. So easy. I still almost screwed it up. Do you know what he did? It's a piece of work. So listen to this. And then we're going to reset this Ashley thing. Yes. It's actually an Ashley Rob thing. That's actually more accurate. That is true. And then the third wheel. Beat up. Stop. Yeah, I guess he's. Let's call him third wheel. Oh, good grief. That was so his face right now. That was his face right now. Come on, Charlie Brown. Kick the football. Hold the football for you. Get it, Seth. You're going to make a handsome groomsman, dude. Anyway. Space. So I tell B-Rob, all right, B-Rob, here's how you make this. Cranberry sauce, Tyler Florence, easy. Very simple. A couple of ingredients. Go buy a bag of frozen fresh cranberries. Done. They take the fresh cranberries, instantly freeze them, and put them in a bag. You take it home. You put it in a saucepan. You put some sugar, about a cup.
Got the sugar. You put some orange zest. Gonna leave that out. And then you throw in a stick of cinnamon. Problem. Uh-oh. B-Rob went to get the cinnamon, and he thought that $5 was too much, and he thought that it was a waste of cinnamon. Well, because the recipe calls for a stick, and he saw, like, five or six sticks, and he's like, when am I gonna use cinnamon? What? So he got like a cocoa leaf. Like I'm not going to chew on a cinnamon. So he got powdered cinnamon. You know, like what you put on cinnamon toast. Right. Because you do chew on cocoa leaves. Well, duh. Who doesn't? The Mayans used to back in the day. Never mind. Let's never mind. Let's never mind. Earlier, P1 Quimby called in. P1 Quimby said, I think that the reason that Ashley is so mean to Seth and picks on Seth.
is because she has a crush on him. And I said, well, you're entitled to your opinion, but I don't think so. By the way, P1 Danny, do you know if this is being discussed on P1Site.com or not? Quimby actually started this on P1Site. She did? Yeah, and we had a huge discussion about it. What's your opinion? I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, well. Come on, Danny. Sack up. What are you going to do? He's afraid of Ashley. He's afraid of Ashley. Don't be scared. You can be honest with your opinion. You can be honest. I'll turn her microphone on. Don't look at her. It'll scare you. Don't look at me. Tell me, Danny. What do you think? Do you think that Ashley has feelings for Zeth and that's why she beats up on him and it's sort of like an out in the playground kind of thing? I think there is, but because of their careers, I don't think they're willing to risk something. It's an interesting point you bring up. It's an interesting point you bring up because that was brought up earlier. And I have a clip here of what Ashley said when that point was brought up. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be like together for two years. If that were the case, Rob and I would have already been together for like two years. I didn't hear it and nobody really heard it.
And we went into commercial. Look at her eyeing B-Dub. We go into commercial and B-Dub goes, did you hear what she just said? And I go, no, what? He goes, dude, have her get that, pull that clip. We played that clip back and at the very end, you got to listen to what Ashley says. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be together for two years. Is that right? And I said, oh, I didn't hear it, B-Dub, but thank you for pointing that out. She said that if that were the case, that her and Rob would have been together for like two years. And so I thought, well, what does that mean? What does that mean? Now, I got to point this out. And I mean this. And I said this earlier. And I mean it. First of all.
That may be one young lady's point of view. Thank you. However, the young man... I'm just saying, in that clip, it makes it look like she decided everything. I can't control my horny level. I can voice my own. That's all I'm saying. With all due respect to everybody, I don't want to start any fights today. That's right. I just don't. I don't want to hug you today. He has an opinion of his own, and he is in a relationship with somebody that he's very in love with. Mike, what they say, what the French call head over heels. What? Your head over heels like the French say? The French say that? You know, the old French saying. The French. I'm head over heels. Who knew? All right. If you actually dive a little deeper into what she said, it's not that they just would have hooked up. They would be together still. They would be boyfriend and girlfriend. Why are you doing this? For two years. Well, not just at least for two years. This is in going into the future. Leave her alone! Can you drop this, please? According to her. Yeah, well, and that is true. That is true. I mean, B-Rob right now is going, well, that's great. Makes me very uncomfortable. That can very well be true. Understand I'm in a relationship right now with someone that I love very deeply and that loves me. And that he's probably going to marry her. Yeah. Like they're married in love. That's why this is all irrelevant. That is why this is all irrelevant. So we should just move on. You know, Zeth, are you jealous at all? No.
Because obviously there's... Well, that's a good point. We talked about the Lucy to Charlie Brown, the dominant to submissive in this relationship kind of thing. It's like a love triangle. It is very much... Love is a strong word, but it's this... Because she could have said easily in that clip, she could have used Zeth's name instead of Rob. 848. What happened? What did he say? Later. Sean. Parentheses, sex triangle. Oh, wow. So anyway, what I was going to say was that I do not believe that Ashley would have feelings for Zeth. The reason is because Zeth does not present her with any sort of a challenge. He doesn't have any substance abuse problems. He is... He is never going to threaten her physically. He would, for the most part, be sensitive to her needs. Probably bring her flowers. He would probably bring her flowers from time to time, even though he couldn't afford them, which would make her heart fill with a happiness that she's not really wanting. Play football with her. And there's a Charlie Brown joke.
So what I'm saying is... I don't think he has a firearm. He doesn't have a firearm. Oh, good point. And so even though he looks the part, he cannot play the part. So that's that. As far as Rob and Ashley... As far as throat tattoo. Yes. And who does pose problems. How do I pose problems? Ay-yi-yi. Oh, my God. Here we begin. Okay, never mind. And who actually is a legitimate bad boy. he is in a committed relationship with someone that he loves a lot. Now, here's an area that we have not explored. We have not explored the area of Zeth and Zeth's feelings. Now, if I were to talk to you about Zeth's feelings, I suspect that Zeth could potentially have a crush on Ash. Oh, yeah. That could be very possible. No doubt about it. Even though, cool. Even though she is pretty rough on the boy. She's pretty rough on him. Maybe that's how he likes it. He's her gimp. What? We're talking about relationships. Well, somebody pointed out earlier that when we do stuff, like when we do stuff, like when we have a party at our house or something, because we're all best friends on the show. There's seven people on the show. Game night, barbecues. Game night, barbecues, whatever.
And Zeth and Rob, or excuse me, Zeth and Ashley show up together. Yeah. Every time. They roll together. It used to be that Ashley and Rob rolled together. Every time. Every time. But Rob has a girlfriend now, and so Ashley now rolls with Zeth. Now, the reason for this is she kind of just orders him around, and he, you know. And he does it. Yeah. He chauffeurs her place. Am I right, Zeth? Yeah. No, she drives. She drives. Okay, but you are her, like, companion. I guess, yeah. I hate to put it this way, but you know how Paris Hilton has that little chihuahua in that purse? How dare you? Zeth is Ashley's accessory. He's like my Great Dane. He is. He is her very loyal companion. Armaduke. She doesn't really say, hey, do you want to go together? She's like, okay, well, this is what time we're going. That's not true. When they're at the party, tell me she won't be like, hey, will you give me some chips? And he'll go get them. No, I didn't. Oh, yes. Really? You decide when to leave. Yes. What's going on? Where are you going next? Absolutely. By the way, I am not criticizing this. They both enjoy the relationship. Oh, yeah, they definitely do.
I used to give Sky a very hard time, but now I say, Sky, you and your husband, perfect fit. Yeah, we got our groove. You guys got your groove. Ashley, Seth, they got their groove. A lot of people would say, oh, that poor Seth, he's got to do this. He wouldn't want it any other way. Yeah, he allowed those parameters to be set by Ashley. Sure. Seth? Reaction. Yes, reaction. Let's go to the Seth phone. It's not just her. I do whatever any of you guys tell me you do. That makes you not feel very special, Ash. I think it's my car washed. So I guess what he's trying to say is, yeah, don't feel special, Ashley. I treat everybody that way. He's trying to work on the bad boy thing. He's trying to put it in action. And that will be corrected later. It will be. Later on, he'll walk into her studio and she'll turn and look at him, turn her chair and go, oh, really? So, I guess you do that with everybody, huh? And he'll say, no, it was on the air. What am I going to say? And she'll go, nice. And then he won't say anything. He'll smile and bat his eyes and look at the ground. And she'll feel superior as he walks out for being able to reiterate her point and him being able to understand it. But before he goes, she'll roll up that emotional newspaper.
And hit him across the nose. That's right. I mean, he sees her on a daily basis. Sometimes dress kind of scantily clad. He sees her out of work. Probably even a little bit more provocative outfits. Yep. I love the way P-Dub does the provocative outfits. He's juggling the provocative outfits. It's called classy fun. It almost makes you wonder. If there's ever been. You are the worst. Shut up. Shut up. Guarantee you. Shut up. Guarantee you there hasn't. Tough love it is. Tough love. No. With your theory. Danny, close those blinds. Yes. Close those blinds. I turn her microphone off. Hurry, Danny. Be smarter than the blinds. We're safe now. Zeth. Zeth. Yeah. Do not look at your computer. Do not look at your computer. Oh, no. Minimize. Okay. Did you turn the monitor off? Uh-oh, time for a talk. We're alone. Here we go. It's safe. Hold on, let me get it. Uh-oh. Don't you lie to me. I won't. Oh. You can't lie to me. Okay. Have you ever kissed Ashley? No. On my life, I haven't. Have you ever done anything? He's like, we made love, but we... This seems too intimate. No kissing. She said not to. She knew you would ask that question. This seems way too personal. Yeah. Has there ever been any shenanigans? No. You swear? I swear to God. Okay.
Danny, you can ask Rob who's been around us. Because Rob's in the room always. What is that? Danny just pulled the blinds up and Ashley was sitting there looking so annoyed. Your mic's back on. Now, that's what I suspected. That's what I suspected. I suspected nothing has ever gone on with that. I'm going to try to help boost this courage now. When we go out, I'll be like, just give it a shot, dude. Don't do that. She looks good tonight, doesn't she? She will slap him in the next Wednesday. I would literally never tap that. No! The woman that's in charge? The woman that has the whip? Yeah. I just wouldn't. Don't even waste your time, bro. Never will happen. Let me tell you something. Never would happen. When he said... Well, I do that with everybody. Making her seem like, hey, don't flatter yourself. I do that with everybody. That was the same as him taking a number one on the carpet. And so what she'll do later...
is she'll emotionally rub his nose in it. In his number one of love. In his love number one. All right. Love number one. And she'll go, and she'll go, don't say that again, okay? Don't you say that again, okay? What'd we learn? What'd we learn? She's going to spray him with vinegar and water in the mouth. Yeah, you got to spray him. Hey. Yes, spray him. What if Zeph wasn't... What if you didn't work with Zeph, though? Would you tap it? We got a break. No, but there are other people that... Hey, I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be, like, together for two years. And she almost made us seem dumb for not knowing that. Yeah, like, duh. Together for, like, at least two years. This is turning into the WB. My wife, an apology. She said that a year and a half ago, and I told her she was out of her mind. And Skye said it, too. And I told Skye she was out of her mind. This thing with Dennis Quaid's kids is sad. I'm going to tell you what happened. This is The Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts.

Oh, my goodness. It's Hall and Oaks. Oh, here we go. Hall and Oaks. Back. It is 9.06. Scientists report a stem cell breakthrough without using embryos. Signs point to Priest Holmes, the four-time Pro Bowl running back, retiring after reinjuring his neck. Might be done. I had to pick up Colby Smith. That's how bad it is for me at running back. I was going to ask you, you want to make a trade? You want to trade Willie Parker? I don't know, you want a wide receiver? Like Heinz Ward? Really? I think I might do that. I will consider that strongly. Unlike Eddie, you offer me trades that are actually... I could say Mike Fury, but he doesn't play much, he hasn't scored. He wanted to trade me Dwayne Bowe for Clinton Portis. I said, nah, Clinton Portis.
Five touchdowns at the time to Dwayne Bowe. No touchdowns. Or one touchdown, I think, he had at the time. You were close. Yeah. You were very close. Let me tell you. I have nothing going on right now at running back. I got Clinton Portis and Willie Parker. And it's just not happening. So I think I'm going to really consider that trade. Let's see. Dennis Quaid. This is a sad story. This is a really sad story. In fact, last night. I was watching TV and I was watching the New York news. I was watching the East Coast feed because I got to go to bed so early. And I'm watching the East Coast feed and they say Dennis Quaid's babies are at Cedars-Sinai. What was the name of the medication they were giving them? Heparin? Heparin clears IV lines. It's a blood thinner. A blood thinner and they clear IV lines with it. They were supposed to get 10 units.
of heparin. They got 10,000 units of heparin. Yeah. These babies were just born November 8th. It's, I mean, I'm telling you, man, that is, it was so heartbreaking. And I just started praying and praying for these little kids, these little babies. Yeah. And, uh, man, put your thoughts and prayers out to Dennis Quaid. No parent would ever want to go through that. That's just terrible, but they're alive, right? Yeah, they're alive. You know, when they went in initially, it was pretty scary. I mean, you know, the media was reporting that, you know, it was potentially life-threatening, critical, but, you know, they're okay now. Wait a minute, wait a minute. That's my question. Have you read, like on TMZ or anything, that they've been stabilized? Yeah. They have. Well, according to sources. I mean, it's not like the Quaid family has issued a statement or the hospital has issued a statement. See, because the last I heard was last night, which was these babies are near death. Right. They're not anymore? According to sources. Oh, man, I hope that's true. The report said, too, they were bleeding out. Yeah. Which my wife and I were trying to figure out last night. We saw the same reports that they were bleeding out, though they think that they might have, according to sources, been able to correct the problem and hopefully they'll be able to bounce back.
I was like, how do they bleed out? I don't know. All I know is that a blood thinner, especially that much of it, would make the blood so thin that it wouldn't... Well, you can't clot or anything else. Yeah, right, right, right. Yeah, there's no way. But they probably have... Wait, wait, wait. We got P1 Penguin in here, and she might know. You start bleeding out of... Close to the microphone. Real close to the mic. You start bleeding out of your orifices, so like your nose, sometimes your eyes, your ears. Oh, jeez. That is so sad, man. So they must have given them something that would counteract that. Exactly. Yeah, they gave them something to try and clot the blood. Well, if they're better, thank God. That is so great news if they're better. But still, just in case everybody thinks they're positive thoughts, say their prayers, whatever you do. Yeah, please do. That's scary. What's horrible about the whole situation is everybody else knows about it. As they're going through this problem, everyone in America is talking about it. You know what, though? I thought of it two ways. And there's no doubt about it. That is one way to think about it. My way of thinking about it is that the power of prayer is so powerful that if a bunch of people are doing it, and I think a lot of people are, anybody, anybody hears that story, doesn't matter what you think of Dennis Quaid, you're like, oh, these babies, they're babies, you know, that a lot of people probably start praying for them. I hope so. I really hope that they're doing okay. Oh, I just felt so, so sad that these little babies, that that happened to them.
But that's good news. That maybe they're doing better. We're going to do the great... This happened on the show yesterday. The great cranberry debate. Here's part of our conversation. You take the frozen whole cranberries. You stick them in a saucepan. You add a lot of sugar. You put some cinnamon sticks in there. A little orange zest. This guy, he wants his cranberry sauce to taste like cinnamon. Why do you want chunks of fruit in your sauce that goes on your meat? Why do you guys want, if you guys want that, why don't you just go to the grocery store and buy cranberry flavored jelly? I think the idea of canned cranberry sauce is disgusting. You've never tried it. Even though you've never tried it. I understand that. But I believe that anything out of a can is better fresh. And so P1 Penguin. Hypocrisy in action. Now give me an example of how that's hypocrisy. Well, I think it's blatantly obvious that you're the guy who comes down on me for judging foods before I even try them. And this is a clear-cut case of you doing the exact same thing. Thank you very much. I can go home and have a wonderful weekend now. Face on your face. If you give me time, I'll have a comeback. Wow. I mean, you want like 30 seconds, 5 minutes? A couple days. Let me get back to you Monday. Because it doesn't quite make sense. Yeah.
Because I do tell you that. Make a note of that one, Rebecca. Rebecca, make a note of it. I got to figure it out. Make a note of it, yes? I got to figure it out. This time it's me. It's different. It involves me, not you. You're dumb. Well, you're female. That's the worst comeback ever. There you go. And no one's talking to you. There you go. All right, so P1 Penguin has brought canned and homemade cranberry sauce. Three kinds. Three kinds. What do you mean three? I made variations. You've got to be close to that sucker. I made three variations, just in case, because you guys talk about sometimes the texture affects the taste of it. So I made three different types of texture. One's pulpy, one's kind of breaking out. I'm really nervous. Nervous about what? Just like Ashley, she takes her cooking very seriously, and she will be heartbroken. If we do not enjoy her homemade cranberry. Question. Do people compliment you on your cranberry sauce? Okay, you got to say it. Yes. Yeah, good. That's what I need. All right. So I think she feels like she's bettering her odds if she makes three different kinds of homemade cranberry because there's a better chance. That looks exactly right. I told Zeth to get me a blindfold. He has one. I'm concerned it's not big enough to fit around my head. No. You're going to have to hold it. Okay, you're going to hold it? Oats.
You're going to have to hold it there. Just staple it to his head. Don't staple it to my head. What? Yeah, we're going to need a beach towel or maybe a tarp. Anybody have a parachute? Anyone have a slip and slide hanging around? Wrap it around his head. Terrible. Maybe a circus tent. Are you set? Okay, so come over here. Come over here. Zed. Go ahead, Zed. Put the blindfold on me. He just said time out. This isn't a game. How complicated? Wait, wait. Let me take my hand. After this, we're going to punch you in the face, and if you don't move, we know it works. All right. He's putting a blindfold on me. That is very attractive. He's tying it. You getting a shot of that, Danny? That's some good stuff right there. All right. There we go. Oh, wow. Put that on the World Wide Web. No, I can't wear my headphones. Okay. Do you see how many fingers I have out right now? I do not, dude. Go ahead. Well, first of all, I have my eyes closed, and then I am blindfolded. Okay. So we want Penguin to come around to you bringing the cranberry goodness, right? Yeah. I don't think I should be tasting three different kinds. Yeah, I say just pick the one that you think is your best homemade. We'll try it afterwards and tell you how wonderful it is. It might not be a bad idea. I don't have an issue. I won't have an issue, I promise. They're three very different flavors. You need to try to make that canned one.
You need to smush it up, though. That's what I was going to suggest. Yeah, you need to smush it up so that I don't immediately know it's canned. Put it on a plate. Because the idea here is, what do I think tastes better? Yeah, not the texture. We're not texture judges. I'm not going to do that. No. I'm just going to go strictly on taste. Be honest. I will. Yeah, Mike. But don't break her heart. Right. It's on you. Yeah, Mike. If I have to cry, I will step out. She was seriously worried that she may cry today. Actually, it's better if you cry on the air. Ratings. And make sure that it's loud enough that we get a real good take on it so that if we want to make a clip out of it, we have it. Otherwise, we're going to have to do it all again. Oh, wow. It's going to be you in five minutes, honey. Sean. Hey! Sean. Stop. Nice. Okay. You doing play-by-play? Go ahead. No, you're the sports guy. I think you should. Well, what she's doing is she's got a spoon in all four of the cranberry sauces. Guys, I only want to try two. Yeah, a canned and a homemade. Come on, Penguin. Penguin, pick your best homemade. This is the first one. My mouth is open. Oh, am I supposed to grab it in my hand? Now Zeth is going to get all over his shirt. What's going on? Beat it to him, Zeth. Put your hand underneath it so it doesn't get... There you go.
Make the airplane sound. Make the airplane sound. Oh, my gosh. How's that one, guy? I think it's delicious. Yeah, delicious. All right, here's number two. There's a lot going on there. Okay, what do we got? What do we got going on there? Here's number two. Well, okay, we're going to do number two first. Do you need to cleanse your palate first, Mike? Yeah, can I? Can I? Hey, why do you stop eating cranberries? Cleanse your palate first? It's okay. It's what it is. What just happened? Was that the other one? I don't know. I undeniably know which is which. What? I know which is which. She tried both already. I tried both, and I can tell you. Can you describe them? Yes. Thank you, Sean. Thank you. No. No, really. Thank both of you. I know what you're doing there. Well, I insist. And thank you. Oh, all right. He's just trying to help. Duly noted. I appreciate when people try to help. No, I got you. Yes, that was very cool, Sean. Thanks. You're welcome. Hurry. So what are you trying? So now it's the time you're supposed to describe.
It's because you never said the first one. I thought I'd give it a little time. All right. Undeniably was the word. For what? Because I know it makes Sean uncomfortable when... I don't like this. I like that Mike is still keeping the blindfold on. Even though it's done. It's better on me. No, hold on. Leave it on. Leave it on. Why would you ruin it? Here you go. Here, take the blindfold. He might have gone to the end of the show. He was in the moment. I undeniably know which was which. Talk about it. The first one was definitely the homemade, for sure, without a doubt. And? And the second one was definitely the canned. And how do you know? Because the first one was very powerful. Like, there was a lot of flavor going on. It was extremely complex. There was... Lots of cinnamon. It tasted like maybe even maybe, maybe some nutmeg. I know that there was fruit and there was like a zest of something. Probably orange. Maybe lemon, but I don't think so. I thought it was orange. Was it delicious? Was it lemon? But was it good? Was it delicious? Yes, it was good. It was very... I wasn't expecting it. It was very strong. Okay. It was one of those deals where it probably would have been aided by...
having Thanksgiving stuff around it. Right. To kind of ease me into the pool. I get it. But it was delicious. The second one was definitely the canned. And I instantly was able to recognize why people are drawn to that sort of very basic sort of homey feel. I got it. I understand. Yeah, so it's good. Ideally, I think I would want a little bit of both of those on my plate. There you go. I know. But we went. But we're the best. But if I had to pick, I think I'd go with that first one. I think I would go with that first one. You should still cry. Am I right, though? Is the first one yours? Yes. Yeah, the first one was yours. And it had cloves in it. It was cloves. So if I had to pick one, I'd probably pick the first one.
But I get it. I understand where people are coming from. So you're telling me the second one didn't taste like tinny? Or jelly? No. Or any of those things you said? We win! I know that. Eddie's going to be so happy that we win and he loses. Thank you. Well, I don't think you won. We win, you lose. Well, actually, remember, we did squish it up and maybe if it was kind of in the shape still, it would... What are you doing, B-Dub? We both win. What's going on? Hey, Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. You believe that the term Black Friday is racist. Yes, I do. I just think that it's a rude thing when they take the cheapest day of the year where everything is on sale and you see the video footage on the news of all those trying to buy things. What? Trampling each other. I've seen how they seem to trample each other. That's probably what they call it in Clan T, where you live. Hey, V-Dab, come on. All right, Linda. I thought Latino Friday was in May. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. I didn't hear what you were saying. I live on all emotion, babe. I answer questions never made me. I'm not kind of you. So who the hell are you to say? I never would have made me.
First of all, I rarely do this, but I would like to take the time to thank people for their contribution. Rob, thank you for counting me in there. Well, it wasn't the full count. I just gave you the, hey, we're on. I love doing that and I'm good at it. So, you know, when there's guests in the studio, Rob tries to be very professional. And so when we were going back on the air right now, he sort of pointed at me and he went, okay, you're on. It wasn't just a point. And he meant it. It's the swinging part. It's a half circle underneath to the point. Okay. He's great. It is 933. Oprah did her annual favorite thing show yesterday. Everyone in the audience walked with at least seven grand worth of stuff. Federal prosecutors in Virginia. What the hell was that? Danny just broke his million dollar camera. It's garbage! Let's just say prosecutors are trying to freeze over $900,000 of Michael Vick's money to make sure he can pay for all the care and disposition of Pitbull seized in a dogfighting case. Ouch. This is from the TV show Extra. This is Ryan Seacrest talking about the new woman he's been seen with. Cut 15. We've seen you out and about with a beautiful blonde. We have? We have. You were like in bushes? Where were you?
And after playing a little cat and mouse, Ryan revealed she's Shana Wall, an ex-girlfriend who recently came back into his life and who also just happens to be one of the contestants on the new season of The Amazing Race. She and I have been back and forth for so many years and, I mean, we'll be friends and very close forever. But you have been back and forth for so many years. So is this it? Do you think she could be the one you're going to settle down with? We're seeing and so on. We're what? What did he say? We're seeing what? Her brother? Is that what he said? Honestly, I didn't hear what he said. So which one is it? Is it the little blonde? They said blonde. They said blonde. Now, how many times have... Oh, boy. That is so overcompensating. Doesn't this go, though, towards reality shows? We've heard about this now multiple times where these people have got on reality shows that kind of know people in Hollywood. Isn't that, I mean, that goes towards... What is this really? Like, the average person that mails in is never going to get a chance.
Skye, what movies are coming out this weekend? Yeah, we got quite a few, muck. Okay. Coming out actually today, you know, since it's a holiday weekend, we got a lot of movies coming out today, Enchanted. Eddie and I saw that being filmed. What are you talking about? When we went to New York City for the draft. Right. All throughout Times Square, everybody was allowed to walk through Times Square, but there was a motion picture being filmed. Oh. And so we stopped and we watched this scene. where there's a pothole, like we watch this being filmed. There's a pothole in Times Square and the pothole pops open and this guy comes out of the pothole dressed like he's from like the 1800s or something. Or something. What is the movie? That sounds great. What is the movie about?
Um, well, it says a Disney fairy tale collides with modern-day New York City, a story about a fairy tale princess. Yeah, it was just like a fairy tale guy. I don't know how to say that. No, I've seen the commercials for it. You have me hooked. Yeah, yeah. It's gorgeous! He looked like a fairy tale guy. You had me a pothole. Uh-huh. How do you say fairy tale man? I don't know what era. Right. He was dressed as like a fairy tale prince. Cut 35. You're the one who's been holding my Giselle captive. Just a stick, huh? No! No! Have you any last words before I dispatch you? You have got to be kidding me. Strange words. No! These are my friends. I have to see it. I have to see it. Well, yeah, it sounds awful. It sounds like the worst clip I've ever heard in my life. Like, that sounded...
Awful. But of course I'll see it. I saw it getting filmed. I have to. Yeah, you have to go see that one scene and be like, this was the scene. Right. I'll be like, that's what we saw. And what if that scene got cut? It's cut, edited out. What if it did? I'll be so mad. Oh, it could have been. Because that sounded awful. Amy Adams, tell me what drew you to this turd. Cut 34. I read the script and I thought that it was very charming. You did? And I was charmed by the script and I was charmed by the character. That is darling. It was such an unusual concept. Idiot. I'm really interested to do things. You are? That haven't been done before. Oh my goodness. Something that people haven't seen before. That is interesting. That's really, really special. Yeah. For sure. For sure. Who is that? That's Amy Adams. Yeah, but what has she been in? Uh, she was in, uh, she's a real, she's the it actress. Yeah. Wasn't she in Wedding Crashers? I want to say that, but. Oh, no, no, no. Uh, no, she was not. She was in, she was in the movie where, oh man, I see it in my head. She is!
Oh, she's not well right now. Tenacious D, Talladega Nights. She's not well right now. She was the, I think, the purse girl from The Office that dated him for a while. Junebug. Junebug. She played the redhead in Junebug. That was a good movie. She was also, keep reading the other movies. Catch Me If You Can, West Wing, Smallville, Cruel Intentions 2, Buffy, Providence, Charmed. Let's see. Last couple of years. Underdog. Fast track. She has a wonderful physique. Moonlight serenade. Standing still. The wedding date. Any of this ringing a bell? I got nothing. The last run. Catch me if you can. Send me the link. Send me the link. I saw one of them, and it was real... I didn't like it. I know her strictly from the purse girl. I know exactly who you're talking about in the office. She was real pretty red-headed. Yeah. In the office that sold purses. But she was real good in Junebug. That's a great movie if you've never seen it. Real good. Same with the wedding date. Just for the record. What are you talking about? She was in the wedding date. She was Debra Messing's sister. Got married. Debra Messing didn't have a date and didn't want to go back to the wedding without a date. So she hired an escort. Was that straight to video? Whatever. Her and the escort fell in love, of course.
You watch some weird stuff. Yeah, did you see that in the theater? No, but I don't see anything in the theater, so. Unless I get a free pass. You are weird. I'm not weird. No, she's not. She's cheap. Thank you, Sean. Frugal is the word I like to use. What? I can't find it. Maybe you're thinking of something else? I guess so. Damn it! Are you looking at Pothole to see? Yes, I'm looking up Pothole. What other movies has Pothole been in? What else is coming out? This Christmas is out today. Can't they just wait two more days for that? Seriously. A family who gathers for the first time in four years. They learn the true meaning of the holiday. What else? August Rush is out today. I've never heard of any of this. Carrie Russell. Let's see. A story of a charismatic young Irish girl.
That's far and away. Already been done. Yeah. Torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant named August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Great. What else? The Mist, out today. I read that. That was a short story in a Stephen King book with a bunch of short stories. And that one actually really creeped me out. Oh, really? It's about a bunch of people going to a grocery store and this mist comes in and there's like weird stuff in the mist. So it's like fog. It's like fog. Only called Myst. Creative. And original. Well said. Not really sure what to make of that. Well, I just feel like, why are they making that if it already came out? Oh, you mean like the movie The Fog? Yeah. I've never seen The Fog, so I can't tell you the difference. Isn't that the basis of The Fog? I don't know. I haven't seen The Fog. I've seen it. And The Fog, like, eats people. Is there monsters in The Fog? No. Yeah, there's monsters in The Myst. Oh, there's the difference. Cut 47. Stephen King. Is The Mist a political story? Is The Mist a story that has to do with the dangers of entrenched religion, fundamentalist religion? Is The Mist a story about red versus blue? I'm not going to answer any of those questions. You go see the movie, and those questions will come up, and maybe you'll discuss them. If it serves as a springboard, that's great. Does that surprise any of you, his weirdness? Yeah.
Does that surprise one of you? Like, of course he's nuts. Never read The Stand? He's crazy. He's a certified lunatic, Stephen King. Like, everybody's like, whoa, he sounds so crazy. Like, duh. He's crazy. But why did he yell at us to go see the movie? No, seriously. He's always the Yankees trying to get the Red Sox. Yeah. Girl, what are you talking about? And then finally... Wait, wait, wait. Oh, we're going to play more? I'm going to tell you about something. When I was 13 years old, I tried to call Stephen King. You just looked it up in the phone book? Go ahead, next movie. No, hold on. Wait, what were you talking about? When I was 13, I called information for Bangor, Maine. You are so weird. How did you even know you lived there? Because of all of his books. In the back of his books, it says, Stephen King lives with his wife Tabitha in Bangor, Maine, and blah, blah, blah. So I called Bangor, Maine. Shut up. About what age? Oh, no, no, no. You know what I did? 13. Okay, sorry. Missed it. He had a place in there where he thanked people. Yeah. I got one of the names and called information and talked to the exact person he thanked in the book. Shut up. That's a little creepy. And he told me, I was trying to get a hold of Stephen King. Well, sure. I wanted to tell him that I really enjoyed his book. That's crazy! Exactly. Oh, here you go, crazy little boy. What did the person say to you? Yeah. They told me all about Stephen King.
How long was that conversation? Like five minutes. He didn't think it was weird that you called him? I think he thought it was kind of cute that a kid was calling wanting to talk to Stephen King. I was inspired by his books and at the time I wanted to be a writer and a horror writer. I was writing like scary stories. Even P1 Danny considers this one weird and Danny knows I'm a pretty strange guy. Right? You know what else I did? This was probably when I was younger. I may have been 10 or 11. I was obsessed with Brooke Shields. So I called all of the... I actually had a phone book. We were staying in Los Angeles. I had a phone book and my parents left me and went to... Arizona. No, no, no. This time it was a different place. This time they went to the Rose Bowl to see USC play UCLA and they took my brother, Sam, because he went to USC. So they all went to the Rose Bowl and I stayed home and tried to call Brooke Shields. Normal. I called every Shields. And I knew it. I kind of knew in the back of my mind. I kind of knew like you're not going to really get Brooke Shields. But my thing was I don't have anything else to do. That's why. I've already gone through every personal item of my brother's roommate's drawers and my brother himself. I've already gone through every personal item they own. This is why you don't leave your kids
at home unsupervised. I'd already gone and examined exactly what orthotricycline was because his girlfriend left her birth control pill. And I'd examined the little round pink. And I was like, oh, what are these little green pills? I know. I'll call Brooke Shields. All at the age of 10. 10 or 11. Okay. You guys have me cracking up all the time. Turn the microphones off. Turn the microphones off. So strange. What just happened? Well, it's a family show, so. I can't say it, but it's a true story. It was all that day. Try to call Brooke shit. Like, do you guys get why I'm so... That just inspired me to want to be a writer. Yeah, young boys left home alone. It all comes together when you started. My brother was so angry because it cost so much money. Oh, it did. There were probably quite a few shields that you called. Oh, like...
I'm not kidding. It was hours and hours that I was there. And in between the snacking on the snacks and going through people's personal items, I had to do something. You did. Wow, that's electric. That's the truth. True story. Danny, Penguin. Enjoy. Enjoy. Hey, Mikey. Go ahead, Danny. You have a question? Yeah. Didn't you also invite Harrison Ford for dinner once? Yes, I did. Oh, my God. Idiot. I met Harrison Ford when he was filming the movie Return of the Jedi. And I asked Anthony Daniels when Harrison Ford got up to walk into the hotel. I asked Anthony Daniels, is that who I think it is? That's my exact words. And he said, well, if you think it's Harrison Ford, then yes, it is.
And then he came out and he showed me a pocket watch that he bought at this place in Yuma called The Watch Hospital. And I invited him over for tacos. Which my mother told me to do. What the hell are you doing? My mother told me to do that. I also... Oh, no. This one, I was probably 12. That's not true. I know I was younger. I was probably like 10 or 11. Went to the Stardust Hotel and sat. against Red Fox's door. Who are you? Oh my gosh. Who are you, man? You need to come out with your memoirs. Dude. And he finally opened the door. I wasn't sitting against the door. I was like sitting against the wall between like his door and like the next door, you know, of the people that... Wow. Normal.
Did I ever tell you that I wrote a fan letter to Kennedy from MTV? Oh my gosh. Which do you want first, Kennedy or Red Fox? Red Fox. Okay, so I'm sitting against a wall and he opens the door. My exact words, Mr. Fox. Wow. True story. And? And I asked for his audio. He was standing in his boxers. I swear to you. Awkward. Awkward. I didn't even know what room he was in. Yeah. I really don't remember. I swear I don't remember. You were a stalker, obviously, early, so you knew how to track him down. I don't remember, but it was very credible information. Because I was at the right, and it was inside hotel. It wasn't like the door where you open the door, you're outside. Inside hotel. So I go, Mr. Fox. And I had a little thing of paper to get the autograph, and he was real irritated. Well, yeah. The guy's in his underwear in his hotel room. He's like, give a pair. He signed it and gave it to me. Do you still have it? Now, Kennedy. True story. True story. My mother threw all that stuff away. Oh, no. When? Like, how did that go down? Like, after you moved out of the house? That's so mean. That's a good story. What happened? Yeah, I had moved out of the house.
And when I came back, she said that it was all garbage. And I said, you didn't throw away the signed 49er hat from Steve Young, did you? And she said, yeah, that was ratty. It's garbage. And then you said, where's my Red Fox autograph? Yeah, Mom, where's my Red Fox autograph? That was just one of many collectibles that went by the wayside. At the time, laminating was like a new thing. Yeah. So everything was laminated. Like all of these things were laminated. And, you know, mom saw it as garbage and it got tossed out. So Kennedy. Yeah. Because I'm still kind of. Big fan. Yeah, but how old were you at this point? Because she was. Eddie and I lived together in Rochester, New York. So you're full on adult. And she was in New York. Yeah, I was 21 years old. Wrote it. You know, wrote out a letter. Right. Dear Kennedy. And what did it say? From MTV. You're a really talented person. She was cool. I think that you are great. Really enjoy your work. Did you work with Andy Bloom? Oh, now I'm trying to show off. I did. I said, did you work with Andy Bloom at, I think it was at K-Rock? Something like that. So what were you hoping to achieve by said fan letter? Get a letter back. Of course. Meet her. Fall in love. Yeah. Get married.
Get introduced to Andy Bloom. Oh. Get a job at K-Rock and be like married to Kennedy and be working at K-Rock in L.A. And it all came true. She changed her name to Rebecca. Oh, okay. Look at that. All my dreams came true. Hey, Mikey P1 Mac. Ashley was wrong about The Fog. It's somewhat similar to The Mist in The Fog. It's a crew of dead pirates. that come from the fog to kill people, as opposed to monsters that come from the mist. Thanks, Mikey. Signed, P1 Mac. That clears it up. All right. Never seen the fog. I don't remember the pirates. I did see Red Fox in his underwear. Okay, well, that's better. That's way better. I learn more and more about you every day. Right? It's just electric. I have more. What? That's what scares me. Yeah, I have more. Give it. Wow. Who's the most random celebrity? Why? Didn't he just name like four? Well, Brooke Shields was pretty famous. I mean, Blue Lagoon, she's way hot. Kennedy from MTV, though. You know, Red Fox, pretty huge comedian. I mean, Kennedy's a little weird. I think Red Fox is the weirdest. Like, hey, I once sent a letter to Schneider and Wopat and asked them to teach me how to drive the General Lee. I mean, things like that. Schneider and Wopat. I mean, that reference.
I mean, but the references are so deep. So deep. Okay, I'll tell you what. The Mikey Show will be right back. Go ahead and see if we can. It's Ford's year-end celebration. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. Hi, Rebecca. How are you? I'm doing well. How are you? Good. I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Cardi Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on Costco. Sleep King was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something. So they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? It's awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Rebecca, thank you for calling and telling us your story.
I had a question, though. Go ahead. When my mom went, she asked about getting the free seats because of Mikey's show. Is that promotion still going on, or is that something they're not offering anymore? They change the promotions all the time. There's always different things going on, so just depending on what's going on at the time is what you end up with. Okay, thank you. You got it. Thanks a lot. But I didn't... He's so quick today. I didn't get to... That's weird. K-I-O-Z Sandy. K-I-O-Z! The thing is, I didn't get to say the callers. He didn't finish saying it. K-I-O-Z... K-I-O-Z! Our timing is off today, so... Really off. It's probably me.
might be the Brian aspect. I'm heavy. K-I-O-Z San Diego. That's where you're supposed to hit it now. You hit it, Sean. You're supposed to hit it after I say K-I-O-Z San Diego. You're the guy who hits it. Hit it. Hit it. K-I-O-Z San Diego. Hit it. Is he going to hit it? Someone should hit it. K-I-O-Z San Diego hit it. Sean, can you hit it? K-I-O-Z. K-I-O! K-I-O! That was a good one. That was a good one. I don't care what anybody... Well, I don't think anyone would disagree. I would. Okay. That's odd. So, we have a housekeeper that comes by every two weeks. She's the sweetest lady in the world. She's a Mexican lady. She called us last night. Wanted to know if...
wanted her to come over Thursday, like usual. Oh, okay. For dinner? Thursday is Thanksgiving. Right. And so we said, well, no. It's Thanksgiving. And we said, you know, we don't want you to not be with your family. She says, oh, I don't like it. Because it's an American holiday, right? Yeah. Okay. But still, everybody does. Her sister does. Her sister, same thing. Yeah, well, my husband actually brought this up last night because one of the guys who he's working with, you know, is a Mexican guy and same thing. He's like, nah, nah. I mean, we'll hang out with the family, but nah. Well, Christmas, she said she does the same thing. Oh, for Christmas? Okay. Yeah, so, dude, I know. That's crazy! Well, maybe I'm thinking that maybe it was implied that she wants to come over and help you. Maybe that was it. Put the spread out.
clean up. She helps when you guys have like big parties. Yeah, maybe it was just she thought that's what it was. We have been through every possible scenario of what we think was going on. Well, that's nice of her. So, you know, we invited her to come just to eat. Oh, that's cool. She doesn't like you could tell she didn't want to, which made us feel uncomfortable. You can clean up afterwards if it'll make you feel better. We did. She said, Do you want me to clean? And so Rebecca's like, sure, but we really want you to come eat. I don't like turkey. I know, we're like, we can't figure it out. We don't know what's going on. So is she coming? We don't know. It got so uncomfortable, I said, think about it and call us tomorrow. And she was like, okay, okay. Anything to get off that phone. Habla Espanol. Not really. Paquito. Yeah, muy poquito. Zeth can't stop from being sold drugs. He's not here right now. Let me tell you, when he gets back, we'll ask him about it. People try to sell him drugs because of the way he looks. He has to say to them, no, I'm not interested. I pass on grass. Happened to him two times yesterday. So weird. He'd be a good narc. He would. Great call. He really would. Like 21 Jump Street? Totally. That's what you're thinking, right?
You're in my head. That was weird how that worked out. I'm a mind reader. You know, it happens. Well said. Thank you. All right. Last night on that stupid Bachelor after the Rose. Oh, did you get to watch? Yeah. Oh, okay, cool. You did? Yeah. Well, I get the East Coast. Oh, you lucky duck. So, Deanna, I've never seen this. I haven't seen this season. We just talked about it yesterday because it was a big deal because he turned them both down. Both chicks. He said, no, thank you. Not really interested in either one of you. Jenny, and the other one was Deanna. Well, the reason we said that this was going to be good to watch last night is because that chick, Deanna, didn't want to accept it. Yeah. She didn't want to accept it. So, cut 29. We got together in the first place, and you obviously saw something there to keep me there for five weeks. Through eight rose ceremonies, you saw something there to keep me there that long. That's true. That's absolutely true. And then all of a sudden, one day it hit you, it just wasn't there.
It's confusing how you can look at me in the face and say, I found this girl that has everything that I've been looking for, but you're so willing to let me walk out of your life. I don't understand what you're scared of. Maybe I don't understand it either. I'm not perfect. I've failed at relationships before. Well, obviously, failed at relationships before. You deserve more than some guy that's going to stand up there and say, I'm in love with you when I can't say that. No, which is fine. I would rather you not tell me that you are in love with me if you're not. Don't lie in my face. I appreciate that more than you know. I can't imagine why he wouldn't want to spend the rest of his life. Yeah, she sounds so sweet. He should have been with Jenny. You want to hear Jenny? Yes. Cut 27. Do you find it hard to believe what he's saying when, in fact, what he did was walk away? I think that I basically showed both of you the utmost respect by walking away. by not selling out, by not giving a false promise. Do you buy that, Jenny? I don't know. I feel like you have the feelings, you walked away from them. Is it because you're scared to commit to somebody? Because how come you haven't found that one person that you are madly in love with and you want to be around? Is it because you're pushing it away and you won't let it in? I hope to God something comes happy for you. Now, let me tell you something.
The dude is real, real good looking. That's how he got to be The Bachelor. But don't make any mistake about it, ladies. Why do you think he's The Bachelor? Come on. Why do you think he's The Bachelor? Also, you're on TV. Duh. Well, and listen. I'm going to throw this out there. Throw it out. I'm going to throw this idea out there. Just throw it out. We'll see what happens. You guys see what you think of it. But it may have been. Come on. No, it's too crazy to suggest. No, just throw it out. Just come on. I've already backed up. All right, but don't call me crazy when I suggest this. Okay. Of course we won't. Promise not to think I'm a lunatic. Hey, we're friends here. Please. Maybe. Maybe he went on the show because he thought it might be fun to hook up with a few of 25 beautiful women. You're crazy. You're crazy. What's wrong with you? That's stupid. That's insane. That's insane. You're a crazy person. Yeah, that's insane. I can't imagine. Why don't you go back to calling Brooke Shields? Please. That's crazy. Unnecessary. So anyway, yeah. One really got me, Sky. What's up? Wow. What if Brooke Shields was here right now? Yeah, what would you say to her? She's like, did you ever call me? I would say to her, I think it's really wrong that you were taking medication.
For that postpartum depression. Hey, don't get glib on us. Don't get glib. When the truth is, is that that stuff is just a chemical. And when that spaceship comes back from behind Hale-Bop, you're going to realize that this was all wrong of you. Oh, it just wasn't meant to be nice. I thought it was really well fed out. This is one last clip. This one should be good. The crazy one, Deanna. I don't know that she's crazy. She's just definitely more confident. But you haven't seen it? I haven't. I haven't watched this season. Well, I'm reading from the clips. Deanna asked Brad. Well, you'll see. Cut 28. My biggest question is how you had two girls and you couldn't choose one. Well, you know, okay. I'm gay. Please don't hold it against me that I had two amazing women and didn't fall in love. It has nothing to do with two women, why I couldn't pick one. Whether you believe this or not, it was the hardest thing.
To tell you that I didn't think we could continue a relationship. Okay. I guess where I'm confused is throughout the whole process, I don't feel like I was ever led to believe that it wasn't there. Dude, the guy already looks like a total jerk. You know what I mean? I don't think he looks like a total jerk at all. Okay, okay. Let me take a step back. That night, the way it went down, the final rose ceremony, was jerky. The way he led them to believe he was picking them and then really, ha-ha, not picking anybody. Which we all know producers put him up to. Yeah, right. It's television. We all know. We all know. You know, at this point, with these chicks going, oh, you had the book. Just say it, guy. Okay? Well, say what? I got a lot of money to come on the show and do a new twist that we've never done in The Bachelor before. No, I wasn't really into you. Get over it. Get over it. He said to them, I couldn't tell you I loved it. What do you want? Yeah. But he didn't say it. He's like being all sweet and nice. Dude, just lay it out. What are you supposed to do? Be a jerk? Well, he's already been a jerk. So who cares? Oh, come on. They put you on a show at 25 and you have to find your wife on that show? I'm not saying he has to find his wife. He already looks like a jerk. So just say it as it is.
Dude, but are the girls on the show? Just because you're on the show, you think you're automatically, he's going to love you for being on the show? Their point is, you let me on. You let me on. I mean, you're one of them. You did the overnight date with me. Well, we did some stuff on that overnight date that led me to believe that you may have been married. Well, here's the deal. Let me be really frank with you, bachelor guy. Remember when we had sexual intercourse in Cabo San Lucas? Yeah, I totally remember. That was great. I really enjoyed it. You do remember? I do. Okay. Because when the sexual intercourse was over and we were lying there, I sort of had this impression you liked me a lot. Weird. And then we met my mother and father. Do you remember that? Oh, yeah. Nice couple. Yeah. Remember we went to my hometown and you met my father. Remember when you met my father? Sure. And you shook his hand and he said, don't hurt my daughter. And you said in that country bumpkin voice of yours that you wouldn't. Remember? So then, we're standing there in national television and you said, yeah, don't feel it. Well, it's just like if we were dating in normal life, except that I'm breaking up with you on the show instead of not breaking up and telling you I love you. So we slept together. It's like if we went on a couple dates, we slept together and we're moving on. He's right. These girls automatically feel entitled to have them throw a ring on their finger. Thank you. You're a female that gets picked to be on a show.
Come on. They don't be normal people. Here's an idea. Here's an idea. Remember that girl that I asked the host of this show about, Estella? Oh, yeah. I said, whatever happened to Estella? Estella wouldn't sleep in the overnight date with Bob Guinea. That's right. She was like the only one in Bachelor history. She's probably the only one in Bachelor history who said, yeah. I'm not going to have sexual intercourse with you. And by the way, we all know that if I say yes to the overnight date, and I love how romantic they make it seem when he's asking. Like it's a romantic thing. They're playing the music and the music's real sweet. And he's like, he reaches into his coat pocket and he takes out this little envelope. And the envelope is this invitation to spend the evening. Just the two of them. And they make it seem like it's this very romantic thing. Just play the music that should be played when you're going to ask the question. It isn't that romantic stuff. No? No. Might as well be what it is. I was just wondering if you and me to the room tonight and get it on. Mikey, what are you doing? I don't think so.
You and me will get it on. Have monkey, monkey sex in the room tonight. Don't stop. Get it, get it. Let me put something. I mean, come on. What's the difference? It's really Blind Date with just 25 blind dates. It's just like, remember in Blind Date, they would go into the hot tub and you're like, oh my God. What is the difference? That all of a sudden they're entitled to love and then one couple's made it. I got to know the second Bachelor. I have never watched a show. Who? Aaron Berge. The second guy after Stephen Michelle. I thought that was the first guy. No, Stephen Michelle was the guy that everyone thought. Stephen Michelle. Or something Michelle. Alex Michelle. Alex. So he was the first guy. Everyone thought he was gay. So I was on a morning show and the guys had got to know the first one. So they said, hey, get this guy on and we'll bring him on again. It was a sports talk show and whatever else in San Diego from a male's point of view. I'm like, okay, so I get to know this Alex Berg guy. He's talking to me on the cell phone all the time. It's nuts, dude.
And I'm like, hey, you know what? Let's bring you on again. He's like, hey, whatever. Here's my cell. He's like, don't give it to anybody. He's like, I don't want to do this. I'm not going on all different types of shows every single day. I'll come on with you guys, your sports guys. That's cool. We talked football. Had kind of fun with him. After a while, he's like, dude, this is nuts. This is so crazy. Some of these girls are so nuts. He even kind of admitted. I would say most of those girls are probably real nuts. I mean, it's so produced. My wife and I get into this all the time. She really loves reality television. And it's more for me being in radio so much. It's so produced. It's so scripted. They don't pick normal people. And you can see it. Like, you can see what's going on. My wife is on the phone. Hi, honey. Hi. I had a call because you missed a part last night that I think is really important. I didn't really think that he was a jerk until... Wait, let me read you the clips. Let me read you the clips. You tell me which one. Okay. No. No. No. No. No.
kind of threw him under the bus. He said, in the middle of him talking to Deanna, he said, yeah, but Brad, you requested that the producers fly her father out because you said that you would never ask someone to marry you unless you asked her father first. Holy crap. And we don't normally do that. That's not a thing. So we flew her father out and her father was here waiting for you to ask him. That's real. Yeah. That's real. That's real. That's not. What did he say? He just, you know, I can't even remember exactly what he said, but he was basically like, well, you know, I was trying to make something happen. I was trying to have, you know, the feelings that they just weren't there. You know, that kind of thing. So up until the very day of, I guess, he was going to ask her, I guess. I don't know. But I thought that that was a real jerky move. Right? You think? Well, it felt a lot of pressure to propose to at least one of them. Exactly. Yeah, but you go to producers and you request that the father be flown out? Like, that's heavy duty, man. And Chris Harrison said, it's not like...
they go, oh, do you want us to fly the dad out? Like, he went to them and said that. Oh, my gosh. That's kind of over and above. Wow. You didn't have to do that. What the hell is that about? And listen, if you're the dad, if you're the dad, you're mad. Because you already know that this guy has slept with your daughter and slept with this other girl, too, and your daughter still isn't good enough. Right, right. Listen, ladies. This is the deal. Guys are pigs. Thank you. Best thing you can do, don't sleep with them. Don't sleep with them until you get married. That's my advice. Don't do it. Otherwise, they could turn into a Brad. Or do it so you know to break it off early. Wait. That's a different kind of advice. Yeah. I mean. Or you could do the opposite. Or you're just friends with benefits. Oh, weird. Just be honest. When I said yeah, I meant to not say anything. Oh, wait. And ended up saying yeah. All right, honey, thank you. Okay, bye. Love you. She hates me now all of a sudden. Oh. Rebecca, she's probably like, that was so obnoxious, Brian. So that's like different? Did she say hi to you? No, she didn't even acknowledge I was on the show. She didn't even acknowledge her existence? My wife's going to get an email from your wife and be like, your husband's a jerk. Oh, wow.
How about you, Brian? No, I heard it was. No, it's not. I just got an email this morning. I mean, Rebecca didn't say hi to me, and I don't think she hates me. I just got an email this morning from they.com. From they.com? They.com. I got it, too. What'd they say? We all got it. It says the subject is Brian, and the body of it says it's all about him. It's all about him. Oh. Well, if I would have known that, I wouldn't. Well, you didn't get the email. Check your inbox, bro. My bad, Brian. Yeah, bro. Sky, you get your shopping done for Thanksgiving? Yeah, that was good times yesterday. Went to two different stores and spent quite a bit of money on a lot of stuff. Was it awful crowded? Well, when I went to a major market, it was crazy crowded.
crazy like the the parking lot was backed up all the way into the street like just to pull into the parking lot and then of course the only space was the one at the very back and it was crazy uh vons wasn't that bad and you know just to say i was really impressed when i went to vons because they were like staff to the hilt and everybody like i called ahead i said i would like to come shop Well, no. I would like a reservation. I would like a reservation this afternoon, 2 p.m. I'd like to stop by. So they empty the store. No, they did not. And I come in with my personal shopper and we commence. They pull the blinds down on all of the windows in the front. Yeah, because there's blinds in Vaughn. Because of the paparazzi. It's wonderful because all the staff. I'm just saying, Vaughn's was really good. Did you take the helicopter? Hey. It's got a name. Oh, I'm sorry. The Donkey Kong? No. No. Wrong again. It's called the Honky Kong now. Take a helicopter ride in the Honky Kong 2. You see? You see, because... That was me. Because I don't have a black manservant anymore. I'm sorry. No, no, no. I have a white manservant. No one has a manservant. Because of the deal with Imus. All right. Thanks, Imus. Yeah. Way to ruin a good bit, cowboy.
Cowboy. Cowboy. Anyway. Why don't you take that dusty, old, leathery face back to the range so I can have my manservant back? Thanks a lot, Coffin Head. Coffin Head? Thanks for ruining it, sarcophagus. Well, the customer service was great at Vons yesterday. That's all I was trying to say. Good job, you mummy. Okay. Hey, Imus, why don't you iron your face? Wait, that's not even possible. What? What? I said, I'm in the what show. What? In the what show? I'm in the morning. Oh. In your lozenge? So, Skye, you're in charge of cooking what tomorrow? All of the gold. I'll be smelting all day. Sean, Sean, I don't believe your name is Skye. Making bullion. That's right. That's what we're handing out to guests.
I'll be serving it up hot and fresh on the smelter. Yes, little gold me's. I have a little dye. And you heat the gold up. You get two giant muscular black men to lift up the pot and pour the gold into the dye. And then put it down. And you wait for it to cool. And then you drop it out. Okay, everybody's had their fun. And you wrap them in little gold packaging. Gold foil. Yeah, gold foil. And then as each person leaves the party. Shouldn't we be wrapping up? You give them their 30-pound gift. I think it's time to wrap up the show. Yeah. The actual figurine. Here's a tip of the iceberg for you. That's right. The actual figurine.
is only the size of a shot glass, but it weighs 30 pounds. It's solid gold. Well, it's gold. My goodness, what's in here? Okay. Open up. You proud of yourself? You've done enough? What do you think of that one there? Well, you want to know something? A shot glass? It's old. You can do with it as you wish. If you'd like, you can smelt it. They say, he who dealt it, smelt it. Yeah, no one saw that coming. Right. And trust me, they've all been dealt by me. Who with the door open? When I melted down the door. When I melted down the door. Hey, bro. All right, 1027. Smelter. Hell, I hardly even knew her. Brilliant. Anyway, try the scotch. I'll be here all night. I've got two shows.
One at seven, one at ten. Couple of Mexicans walk into a bar. Shut up. Shut up. Stupid show up already. I'm late for sale. For what? For what? Friday, it's called sale now. This crazy lady called it sale. That's right. Sale. Hey, Sean, did you get any drops of that crazy lady? Yeah, we got a couple. Hold on now. I want to hear my favorite one. Who's the man? Skye says to this crazy lady that called in earlier. Skye goes, who's trying to do that to you? The man? And she goes, who's the man? Who's the man? And then she's saying Black Friday is racist. What should you call it? And she said, sale. Sale? I would call it sale. I don't know. Who's the man? That's it. Let me hear it again. Who's the man? Oh, she's so angry. Who's the man? Who's the man? I want that forever. Oh, she's my favorite.
Oh, okay. Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael Lohan, wants to open a restaurant for Lindsay in L.A. That guy will exploit her. He's going to call it Sobers, I heard. That's the name of the restaurant. Right. He's advertising as this great, he wants it to be this great four-star restaurant where Lindsay will always go and Lindsay can always feel safe and blah, blah, blah. It's like, oh, so good. You're using your daughter's name so you can make money. Awesome. What a jerk. She can get boozed up all she wants. Not get harassed. If there's a bar in there, then that's wrong. How about this one? Neil Diamond finally revealed the identity of Sweet Caroline. Wow, I've been waiting. I knew Rob would turn his microphone on when I said that. You mean Rob's here today? Yeah, he turned his microphone on because in the seventh inning of Red Sox games, they play that. Talk about it, dude. The phones can wait. I gotta hear this. My job can wait. So who's Caroline? Caroline Kennedy, JFK's daughter. Beautiful. And he wrote the song when she was like...
He saw a picture of her in her riding gear with her pony when she was like 10. So he thought she was cute. Thought she was a cute little kid. Yeah. Do you see something like weird about it? Listen to the lyrics. Yeah, some of the lyrics sound like a 10-year-old girl. No, that's creepy. Come on. That's why he didn't tell anybody until now. Well, has anyone said to him, it sounds like a love song and that's a 10-year-old? I don't know if anyone said it to him, but when I heard this story on the news last night, or I think it was on TMZ or whatever, that was their angle. Like, hey, guy, you were this old, and she was that old, and what are you doing? Yeah, but you remember JFK, his son saluted at his funeral. Maybe that was a deal. They were looked at as America's children at that point when their father was assassinated. I think, I don't know. Well, of course, it's TMZ looking for the scoop or the angle. Right.
Yeah, touching you, touching me. What are we touching? Who's touching what? Hands. Because she's 10. Playing patty cake, everyone knows that. Okay. That does sound weird, man. Yeah, that's a little creepy. See? Neil Diamond is? Potentially. Allegedly. You're going to offend the Diamondites. Yeah, you can't say that. That means that we don't know for sure. It also means we shouldn't say that. Because we don't know. I thought if you preface it with, I'm not sure. You know, if you can say whatever you want. Yeah, if you don't want a lawsuit from Mr. Diamond, maybe we shouldn't say... Put it in the form of a question? No. No. It's not Jeopardy. It's not Final Jeopardy. Shouldn't ask the question. Yeah, just kind of creepy. Let's just state that it could be kind of creepy. It's creepy. It's creepy. Let's see. We got to get out of here. Tomorrow's Thanksgiving. Let's go. Let's go home. Get some cooking. Let's go home. What's cooking? What's cooking? Studies out says blondes make men act dumber. Duh. They do? I don't know. What do you mean, duh? Well, so basically, researchers found that when men were given general knowledge questions, their scores dropped when they were shown photos of blonde women while taking the quiz. Really? Yeah. So they're speculating that...
people like that stereotypes get put onto other people. You know what I mean? That's fascinating to me. Yeah, so they're saying like, you know, they find lots of times when people talk to old people, they talk really slow to them because they think that because they're old, that means, you know, so same thing with blondes. When they see blondes, blondes are dumb, so it kind of like makes them dumb or something. Ashley is dead. Did Ashley do that when you talk to Ashley? Intimidated? Let me turn his mic on. Why? Why? This was his end. Okay, so we could capture this. No. I mean, really? I want to make sure that prints real well. You may want to play that back on a best of. No. That's track nine on the 08 best of. Seth, no. Remixed. Yeah. You do it like three different. No, no, no, no.
Mikey Show. Hello. Hey, man, what's up? Takai coming over for Thanksgiving for you? I will be going over to Mikey's house. Oh, to Mikey's house this year? Yes. How do you know Mikey? We used to be in the same club together. What club? It was called Club Gay. Wait, really? What? Well, it was all gay guys. That's actually not true, George Takai. I'm straight. Yeah, you're married to a woman. Oh, I guess we're playing this way. Yes, I have no knowledge of Mike. But you're going to his house for Thanksgiving. Yeah, Takai, don't try to put rumors out there or something. It's weird. Okay, I met him at a boxing match. See, now you're overcompensating, George Takai. Sorry. Mikey, how do we know each other then? I don't know you. Takai. Okay, I don't know him. Oh, wow. We're going to play this game. I just wanted to get on the air. So confusing. Oh, okay. Well, that's how it is. Does anyone know a roller skate repair? Oh, what happened? I don't know. What's going on? I was down at the beach yesterday and broke one of my skates. Oh, no. Oh, wow. Did you skin your knee? Yes, I got a boo-boo. What beach? Beach. I don't think...
Okay, so you were roller skating nude at the beach. Yes. Weird. I don't like that visual. With Mikey. Yeah, I know you were not. With Mikey, the guy that you've never met. I heard in honor of the holiday you were wearing a Native American headdress too. That's ridiculous. Rob. That's so stupid. Rob is trying to be sensational. What are you, just trying to get on the radio? Mikey Show. Are you going to stick out a performance? Yes, we are. Sky just shook her head at me. No, actually we're not. Go ahead. You're on the air. Yeah, I was talking to Rob. Me and my buddy made a video game. We're going to be sending a fight. Actually, the more you get her mad, the more her armpits sweat. Are you being for real? I'm being for real. I've never heard. We're going to make everyone else.
That is hysterical. It would be available on PS3 or PS2. I want to play that in high definition. What's the goal? To make her sweat? How do you win? When the furniture starts to float, you win. That's awesome. I love your game. Bonus point if you find the purse. Okay, Bob. Shut up. I'm telling you guys, the whole game is going to be with all you guys, too. Yeah, make one for Rob. That's awesome. Thank you very much. You've got to make him taller. Right. Well, duh. There you go. Well, duh. Once he reaches the... Steering wheel? Yeah. I'll play that one. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey Show. It's D1 Big John. What's up, Big John? Hey, real quick, though, for the grand prize, when you get the highest score, her apartment floods out, right? Yes.
Hey, I wanted to comment on the whole Black Friday skit. Yeah, go ahead. Huh? Yes, go ahead. Did we put on a play? Did I miss it? What role was I? Say what? Can you guys make that in a podcast? Yes, we will, sir. That is awesome. That was the funniest thing I've heard on radio in a long time. That was a crazy lady. That was great. Hey, you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. You too, man. Bye. We'll see you. Mikey Show, hello. Good morning. This is P1 Gator. I have an off-subject question. Me and my wife are being transferred to Everett Base up in Seattle, and I was wondering if you guys could name a good morning show up there. Yeah, Bob Rivers. Bob Rivers? Yeah, Bob Rivers is good. What's the guy who used to work with... Oh, gosh. I wish Eddie was here. The guy who I hang out with at boot camp. That's Bob Rivers, dude. Oh, no, no, no. That's BJ Shea. Yeah, BJ Shea. But he does. I thought he did. Does he do mornings now? Yeah, I think he's the morning show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. BJ Shea does mornings. It's a show really for men, though, but they're funny. Yeah. All right, cool. I appreciate it. You got it. All right, thanks. I mean, a lot of people thought that was funny that somebody would ask, like, give me a random city and be like, what should I listen to? But if you give me a city, I can almost.
usually tell you something going on there. Being in radio, you learn that stuff. You learn different things. B-Dub, thank you for filling in for Eddie. My pleasure. Did a great job, man. Thank you very much. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. You want to tell people about your station? That's right. Extra Sports 1360 on the AM dial in San Diego. San Diego Sports Talk Station. Give it a listen. Except for in the mornings. My boys over there. They roll with the punches pretty good. I'm sure you guys will be punking them down the road. I actually met them the other day. I never met them before. They're really nice guys. Yeah, nice guys. Dave and Jeff. You know, Costa's part of the show. Is Costa on there? Costa's on there as well. I hope he doesn't drag it down. How dare you? We have him in spurts. You know, I just barely snuck by his team in fantasy football. And he's got the worst team. I just barely snuck by that team last week. which is a really, really awkward segue into my next segment. Go ahead, Ash. What do you got? I just wanted to say I'm going to be out this Saturday watching a little Miller Lite college football. So if you want to come hang out, I'll be at the Gaslam Tavern on 5th and E this Saturday, 1 to 2.45 p.m. I'll be giving away Aztec tickets. Love to see you. In 2003, I was completely addicted to alcohol. I was morally at a place where...
I barely knew the difference between right and wrong, but I was mostly just behaving. I'd isolated myself from my family. I'd isolated myself from my friends. And it had taken many years to get to that point. Today, I'm going to tell you this story, and I think it has special meaning because today is the day before Thanksgiving. I remember that there was a Thanksgiving. I've told this before. There was a time in my life where I was bulimic. And there are people that are listening right now that are suffering from an eating disorder. And you know that Thanksgiving is a problem for you. There has to be all kinds of planning that goes into Thanksgiving. How that's going to work. Especially because you've got to go to somebody's house. So how does that work? And how are you going to do that? And how are you going to plan that? So I tell you my story on Fridays. And I tell you how at one time I was addicted to alcohol. At one time I had a problem with bulimia. I've had it.
almost every kind of addiction you can imagine. And I've had issues with being isolated and I've had times in my life where I was extraordinarily lonely. So there may be somebody listening today that is going to experience a bad Thanksgiving tomorrow and you know it because you're lonely. You've been isolated from your family for whatever reason or you've made it to where you're isolated from your family. You've lost a husband or a wife or a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Maybe you've lost a child. Maybe you've lost a parent. Maybe you're new in San Diego. Maybe you're doing something in your life that makes you feel morally embarrassed of yourself and ashamed. And nobody knows about it. Maybe as I'm telling my story on the air right now, you're listening to it and you're going, that's me. You're talking about me. And no one knows. My parents don't know.
My husband doesn't know, my wife doesn't know, my boyfriend, my girlfriend. No one in my family knows. But right now, as you're listening to what I'm saying, you know what to do about it. I was in the same situation in 2003. I trusted enough one night to say... I closed my eyes and I said... I don't know that I've ever told people exactly what the conversation was. But I accepted Jesus Christ into my life. And I said... Here's what I've done wrong. I'm addicted to alcohol. I'm bankrupt. I've done these things wrong in my life. Please come into my life and change my life and save me. If you can hear me, then please save me. Save my life. Because I knew I was going to die pretty soon from how much I was drinking. I was starting to have a real bad physical reaction to the alcohol. Jesus Christ came into my life.
And all of those things that I've mentioned to you, all of those things that could potentially be an issue in your life, they can all be saved or be changed if you say what I just said. Because it worked for me. It really, really worked for me. And today, I got a brother flying in tonight. I got a little boy that's starting to walk. And every time he giggles, I think to myself, I'd have never heard that giggle. That sweet, beautiful little giggle. I'd have never heard that. if I had kept doing the same things I was doing. And so, uh, on Fridays, I play the song to you. It's about hope, but today's Wednesday. Cause tomorrow's Thanksgiving. I play you this song. The song is about hope. It's by a band called third day. And, uh, if you do that, what I just told you, it could change your life. So the song is called tunnel. It's by a band called third day. Really listen to the lyrics of the song. Cause it'll, it'll give you hope. It'll really, really give you hope. Uh,
Guys, everybody have a great Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. P1 Danny, thanks for coming in. Thanks for coming in, dude. And thank you, P1 Penguin. Thank you. We'll see all of you guys again on Monday morning. Best of the Mikey Show tomorrow and Friday. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. Have a great Wednesday. We'll see you on Monday. The Mikey Show's out. Late. Pretend to know what you're thinking. Know what you're doing.
