Look at this. It's Monday, and we're back. We're back. We're all full of turkey. We're all full of holiday food. Now it's time for Christmas. It's 6-0-4. 50 homes were lost over the weekend in the Malibu fire that burned over 4,700 acres. Okay, now, is this the Chargers team that we're going to see for the rest of the year? They ripped the Ravens 32-14. Hey, Sean, uh... Are Eddie and Skye's mics still got something going on with them? No, they're good now. Thank you. All right. Thanksgiving over. Your family has probably already flown back home. Or you are back home. Let's see. Eddie, were you the only one that left town? I think all the rest of us were in town. Yeah. I got to tell you, traveling was not bad. It wasn't? No. I mean, I was so stressed out on Tuesday that it was like ruining my wife's...
day now you know and and so you know we did the whole park and ride there were spots available which i like the last minute i thought to myself i didn't reserve a spot i'm screwed we're not going to get a spot but i called and they're like oh yeah we have plenty of space i'm like okay cool so i drove down there no problems went to uh you know the um curbside check-in no line security line normal I mean, everything about it was a-okay. I would not have expected that. And then in San Jose, where I flew into, it was like a ghost town, their airport. It was slower than it normally is. Really? Yeah, I was confused. I was like, what's going on? What were we hearing about holiday travel, Sky, before it started? That it was going to be heavier or lighter? Well, they weren't really saying anything. It was just the fog that was freaking everybody out. Because remember, they were shutting down runways at LAX and stuff like that. But, you know, sounds like from Eddie's first-hand opinion, everything was smooth sailing. Yeah, no problems. That's cool. Real quickly, let me introduce everybody. There's seven people on the show. I'm the host. My name's Mikey. I'm 37 years old. Eddie's our producer, our sports guy. He is 34. Skye is our news girl. She's 30.
Sean is our sound effects guy. He's 37. Ashley's our assistant producer. She's 24. Boston Rob is our phone screener. He's 25 now. Just had a birthday. Kids all grown up. Saturday. Happy birthday. Thank you. Turned 25 on Saturday. Get your spankings. And Zeth is the youngest guy on the show. Pinch to grow five inches. And Zeth is 22. When's your birthday, Zeth? March 15th. There you go. That's my brother Steve's birthday. Hey. How about that? So many things to talk about. We're going to get to all the Thanksgiving shenanigans that happened in just a little bit. I did something extraordinarily uncharacteristic for me. We'll talk about that. But because Thanksgiving is over and just under one month away from Christmas. Don't. No. No.
Uh-uh. The Christmas season is just around the corner. Please don't. Then what we do is we treat you to the traditional O Holy Night. Oh, yeah. I was singing this to myself all weekend. Couldn't wait to hear it. You were? Yeah. You were? I was. Skye does a thing where she has to pretend, but the truth is she loves it. Oh, absolutely. Oh, my God. You don't have a heart if you can't. Well, I enjoy the original version. You'll be hearing this in malls everywhere. They're all different places. There's a point in the song also where you really just get up there and get it. Well, yeah. You have to go for it. Yeah, you have to get after it. You gotta go for it. You gotta let the listener know that you mean it. Otherwise... There is no holiday spirit. That's right. Christmas is dead. Wait a second. I can't believe that we haven't heard that for a year. Wow. I'm glad it's back. It's like I can smell pine trees and eggnog. That's right. By the way, at 12 days of Christmas,
The cost of all the items in the 12 days of Christmas have gone up this year by 4%. Every year what they do is they take the different items in the 12 days of Christmas and they add them up. And they say, how much would it cost if we get the golden rings and the maids of milking and the partridge and the pear tree? How much would it be this year, Skye? Skrill. It would cost $78,100 to buy all 364 items in the, you know. In the song. So, like you said, that's up 4% from last year. So, just buying each item in the song would cost about $19,500. So, yeah. How much does a lord leaping cost? Oh. Let's see if they break it down. Yeah, and how many lords are leaping? Let's see. 11? I can never remember the numbers. I believe that's correct. 11? I think that's right. I thought it was 11 melds and... Maids of milking. I think it's eight maids. I think it's eight maids. I think it's eight maids. It was ten lords that leaped. No, it's eight maids are milking. Eleven doves that were playing. Wait, no, that's not even a lyric. Doves can't play guitars. That's not even part of the song. Their little wings won't fit around the strings. What? Yeah, they don't list the lords of leaping. They list the ones that cost the same from last year, which is a partridge, $15. Two turtle doves, $40. Three French hens, $40.
Nine ladies dancing, $4,750. What about the doves? Ashley's saying malking. What about the doves? Yeah, malking. Malking. How much are those hot ladies? And seven swans a-swimming, $4,200. Wow, swans are expensive. Twelve doves a-dancing. What is it? How many? No, that's not in the song. How much? That's not in the song. It's rolling. Okay. Whoa. All right. We should call Michael Jackson because I bet he's bought all those things at one time. Oh, yeah. Of course. How much... Let me go on the internet and see how much it costs for... I really need some maids milking. Malking. Yeah. Maids malking. Wait, it says, did you mean milking? Shut up. I typed in maids malking. Oh, gosh. Shut up. On Kim. Hi, Mikey. Hi. Good morning. Good morning. I just wanted to thank you guys for playing the Oh Holy Night song. I had forgotten until I heard it that you guys played that last year, and my husband actually had called in because my husky, who has now unfortunately passed away, but he was howling to that the whole time you guys played it last year. When I heard it, I kept thinking about that, and it just brought back some cool memories. Yeah, you know, it was kind of the same for me.
I was playing it back, and I said, you know, this just brings back warm memories. So, wait. The song killed your dog? Oh, no. That's tragic, but... That's sad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's really tragic, but... We're sorry. No, he lasted until... He was getting old. He lasted until after New Year's. Oh, shoo. I don't think so. You don't have to worry about that. I know. But it brought back... It brought back some kind of... you know, fond memories of, oh, yeah, we talked, and he was howling on the phone. He was howling, you know, the whole time. That's awesome. It was really funny. Don't worry. Between now and Christmas, we'll play that maybe about 100 times. Oh, please. True. Skye, I think you love it. She does. Yeah, she does. She, you know, she's like all moms. Like, moms have to pretend that their kids are annoying them, but secretly they think their kids are cute when they're messing around. I'll be honest. The first time he hits that high note, I do giggle. But then I'm over it. I'm good with one time. I think when you hear the very beginning, you hear that, you're like, yeah. No, I think I'm not good now. We heard it once, and thank you very much. I think if I didn't play it again, at some point between now and Christmas, you'd be like, are you going to play that stupid tongue again? I doubt that, but okay. P1 Josh?
Yeah, I'm here. You have a legitimate question. Yeah, I do. Wasn't that song part of Tone Deaf Karaoke? No, that is not Ashley. I know that it sounds at times... That guy's way better. That's not true. But that is not Ashley. It's a rumor. It's a rumor out there. I had to bum out. A friend of mine yesterday sent me an email, and I was one of... And maybe 40 people on the email, at least 40 people, talking about this 15-year-old kid had been abducted and can you help and blah, blah, blah. It took me, I'm going to give it real time, I don't want to exaggerate. It took me 20 seconds to realize it was a hoax by Googling the name. 20 seconds. I'm giving you real time because I don't want to exaggerate and say, oh, I did it in five seconds. It took me, I had to open the browser to Google.
I had to type in the kid's name. And then, you know, immediately all the links were hoax, blah, blah, blah. And I thought, I wonder why that didn't occur to one person in the 40. Or not the 40, but before her. Because you saw 900,000 people that had been forwarding this along. So I took the opportunity to reply all. Oh, my. Listen, you don't want them to continue it. Yeah, you're doing a service. Right. Right? So I just put the link to the hoax page. Ouch. Wow. Listen, honestly, that's not the type of thing you want people sending to more people. No. You want that to stop in its tracks. And you would kind of think as the sender, you would check something first. Did you hear back from the person? Yeah, I heard back from the person that sent it to me. And she said, Dad, I'm so mad. I was so worried sick about this kid. She's not well right now. You know who started the hoax? The kid himself. I even sent her, because along with the hoax thing, they had a link to...
the video of the news story that it made in this kid's town. Wow. Because it made it on the news. And so there's the kid whose picture you see saying, I just meant it for my friends and I thought it'd be funny. Oh, gosh. It didn't quite turn out that way. Crazy. P1 Paparazzi is on the line. Oh, look at that! I haven't even said the word paparazzi. And Eddie's eyes rolled and he put his head back, Eddie did. And P1 Paparazzi, for those of you that don't know, he is... He is a Hall of Fame P1 guy. Well, I mean, I think you have to put him there. I mean, he does have a place in history as a pretty... Oh, yeah. Dubious. As a pretty... Yeah. He's kind of infamous. And, you know, his name is Brad, and we call him... Oh, that's garbage. Hall of Shame. Oh, wait. What? We call him a shamer. Okay, let's all calm down. We call him P1 Paparazzi because in the early days of the Mikey show, when he would come out to personal appearances, he would take an inappropriate amount. of photographs that made everyone... Not just us, the pictures being taken out, but people around us. I mean, people that were there to see us as well. Other P1s were uncomfortable kind of saying, wow, that guy is really... You know, he is taking a lot of pictures. He's been able to... Stop! This is creeping me out! Sneak into our building. Sneak into places where we are just to get his shots. And, you know, it's uncomfortable. He's resourceful. And another thing, interesting...
The last note about paparazzi is that he makes a great guacamole. So, there you go. The jig is up. He won paparazzi. What's going on? Hey, I'm wondering, what's the chance that you can get in touch with a guy who sang that Noel song and have him do a duet with Ashley? I don't know. I don't know how to get over. Eddie's giving a thumbs down to that idea. Bad call. Eddie, talk me through it. Well, I mean, ridiculous. But why? He could have said, hey, do you guys know who did that song? And if so, could you get him on the show? That's a legitimate call. But you could get him on the show. Hey, paparazzi, it's one man's opinion, so don't take it to heart. It's an insulting opinion, but an opinion nonetheless. The right opinion. So yeah, paparazzi, don't read too much into it. You know, don't try to overanalyze what Eddie said, because if you do, it'll just... It is what it is. Yeah, it'll make him nuts. Thank you, Brad. Appreciate it. Thank you. Hey, listen. Oh, man. I mean, he can't get that down. I would say that that guy's batting average is well over 300. Oh. Well over... Oh, that's another one man's opinion. Okay.
Don't take it to heart what I said. That's all I'm saying. Don't take it to heart. Take it with a grain of salt. Wow. But, yeah, personally, I feel when he calls in, he's got some pretty good questions and comments every once in a while, you know. Hey, why don't you guys get the guy on the line there and have him do a duet with us? He thinks he's a bit starter. He thinks he's part of the show. You know, Sean gets mad at some people. Dude, it's annoying. Yeah, I don't like it. Well, he obviously is part of the show the way you talk to him. I mean, that makes him a member. He's been fully hazed. He's now part of the show. He's not hazed. I hate him. I thought you were jumping him in. One man's opinion. Hang on. Brad, you heard what Eddie just said. I just want you to know. Don't think too much into that. Don't try to overanalyze what Eddie just said. Don't try and interpret the word hate. Don't take that and turn it into something it isn't. You've got to just take it at face value. For sure. P1 Grant is on the line. Hello, Grant. Oh, hey, what's up? What's going on? I was wondering if you guys were going to have Gary Hoey on again this year. Oh, love him. You know, Gary Hoey is a great solo guitar player, and he kind of, he'll contact us when he's doing something, and so, you know. 100%. They will all hear from his people. Absolutely. I mean, if he asks, I'm always down for Gary. He is a really warm. He's a nice guy. Warm, sweet individual. He's a really good person.
So, yeah, if he wants in, he's in. Thank you. P1 Drill Instructor is on the line. Yeah, I have a legitimate question for Sky. All right. How did your Thanksgiving go with the whole hubby and ham and steak thing go? That's not a legitimate question. That's a real question. I like ham. Thank you. I appreciate the question. Can't confuse legitimate questions with actual questions. I appreciate you. This is a legitimate question. You're a good man. Let me give you an example, P10 instructor. No, we don't need an example. Let me show you what a legitimate question is. A legitimate question is, hey, Sky, did Ramsey get any ham this year? Right. That's a legitimate question. Okay? A real question is, hey, Sky, how was your Thanksgiving? Yeah. Which we have no place for real questions. Legitimate questions have a place on the Mikey show. So Skye, it's up to you. If you want to answer that ridiculous question. We did the tri-tip instead of the ham. I see. So it was wonderful. There you go. Thank you. When we come back, we're going to be telling you about our Thanksgivings and the different stuff. Rob turned 25. Boston Rob had a birthday on Saturday, turned 25 years old. How about that? And I got a lot of cool notes here. I went to the movies.
For the first time in forever. And I had an awful experience at the movie theater. What a surprise. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have that as a note. I have to talk about Eddie's Thanksgiving, which was eventful. It was a doozy. Go, go. We want to tell you about how Sky almost didn't have turkey on Thanksgiving. Sean and another bad tipping story. Oh, no. Appropriate tipping. So basically Sean went out to eat. I want to tell you about Rob's Thanksgiving. He cooked a turkey again. We'll find out how it came out. I have as a note here that Zeth exaggerates and I don't remember what that is. So I'll have to ask him. That's not cool. I'll have to ask him because I forgot what it was. That means I got to ask him. I have to go, hey, Zach, I put that as a note, but what does it mean? Oh, that's funny. That is funny. It's just a note. I don't know what it is. So we'll have to find out. Sean Merriman, lights out Sean Merriman, who had a pretty good game yesterday. That's right. We're going to talk to him. The Chargers won. We're going to play a game that we play here on the Mikey Show called the Dumb Chick Challenge. That's stupid.
where we ask the girls on the show, there's two of them, Sky and Ashley, we ask them, and a female listener on the phone, we ask them very easy questions, signed a point value one through three, ones are easy, threes are hard, to answer some questions. First person up five points wins. We got a lot of cool stuff, so 5701053 if you want to jump on the phones with us. And also, P1 Trivia today, so that somebody can come and hang out in the studio on Friday. And Stephen Wright is in the stand-up spotlight. I have several hobbies which I enjoy to the fullest. I have a large seashell collection which I keep scattered on the beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen it. I also collect rare photographs. I have two very rare photographs. One is a picture of Houdini locking his keys in his car. A photograph of Norman Rockwell beating up a child. On the Rock. They've got it out of the way, but not before it really made a mess of the downtown traffic coming out of the downtown S-Curve. And now that's affecting South 163. Hulk Hogan found out that his wife filed divorce papers when a reporter called and told him.
Ooh, man, they got a little scared, but the Patriots ended up staying undefeated, beating the Eagles last night. Were you worried, Rob? Yeah, a little bit. Oh, you should have been. Yeah, it was looking like it was going to be a big L. Yeah. With the great A.J. Feely. Who knew? God. How were they able to win against the future Hall of Fame A.J. Feely? Wow. But somehow they were able to do it. That's a statement, huh? That's right. Going out there and saying, hey, listen, world, I know a lot of you think that we're overrated, but the truth is we can beat A.J. Feely and the Eagles at home in prime time. So take that. And what's up with NBC basically saying, oh, yeah, we found a replacement for Friends with the Patriots. Like the Patriots are now their flex game every week. It's true. What's up with that? The Chargers beat the Ravens 32-14. And Phillip Rivers had a good game. Oh, man. Thank God. No turnovers. Guy looked good. Thank you. He got booed in the beginning. Well, yeah. He started out a little shaky, but pulled it together. Maybe it was that. Listen, I mean...
Part of you goes, well, he sure started playing better after the crowd started booing him and he got mad at the crowd. He's an emotional guy, obviously. Yeah. And, you know, maybe he got a little angry and it made him focus a little bit more. Did you happen to catch any of the tape of Eli Manning after his awful four interception day? Yes. Doesn't it inspire you? I'm really glad things worked out the way they did. Yeah. I mean, I was looking at him yesterday going, you know, we drafted him. The Chargers drafted him. And the only reason he doesn't play here is because he was a baby and he whined about it. And he said, I don't want to play there. I'm telling you, man, I saw that clip of him talking after his four-interception day. He looked 16 years old. Like, if they were drafting, I mean, if they were casting a television program for a 17-year-old in high school, he could easily get the part. They may think he looks...
A little too young for the part. But Antonio Gates had a great day for the Chargers. LT finally over the 10,000-yard mark. Not all-in-one games guy. And Sean Merriman had a great day. Man, did he. We'll be talking to Lights Out coming up. That's got to feel good today. Batman. Having to call us and go, ah, you know, finally no tough questions today. Exactly. Nothing but good stuff. Exactly. A little bit later, I got some great audio for you. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the guys behind South Park, they are alumni of, apparently they went to school at Colorado University. So yesterday in the Nebraska-Colorado game, or actually it wasn't yesterday, I think it was Saturday, sometime over the break, I don't know. Anyway, because they're alumni, they introduced the starting lineup for Colorado and the voice of Cartman. Oh, that's funny. Nice. So I'll give you that. So I told you that I wanted to talk about all of our breaks. I did something that was really very different for me. There's this big, giant hillside by our house. And on Saturday, I woke up and I said, I'm going to buy hiking boots today. And I'm going to climb that sucker. Oh, my God. And it took me an hour to get to the top. And it's very steep.
And obviously not an easy climb for a guy as gigantic and out of shape as myself. But I felt really great when I got to the top. And I took pictures up there. To the summit. And I took photographs up there. Was it snowing up there? Yeah. Hard to breathe. What I had to do was I had to gut a mountain goat. Oh, wow. And sleep in it. Because it had taken me so long to get up there that I knew I wasn't going to make it down by nightfall. I thought they smelled bad on the outside. That's right. I can't believe you did that. I'm telling you, I got so far up. It was so high up that I could see the community. Look at this picture. I want to see. Look at that picture, Skye. Oh, that's a great. I could see the ocean. I could see Mexico. I could see San Mar... I swear to you, you can, Sky. I know you guys are like, oh, it's a little anthill. It really is a pretty nice little steep place up there. That's cool, man. That is cool. And so I think I'm going to keep doing it. Huh. What makes you want to do that? Yeah. Well, as you know, I'm a little chubby.
Which is a really nice way of saying, I am obese. I am fat. You are not obese. I am. I am. No, no, no. By definition, Sky, I am. Hefty. I'm big. And so I decided that I wanted to do something about it. Wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is this going to be a weekly ritual? Well, I don't want to commit to anything because every time I do, I feel like a total loser. So what I'd like to do is just go set my expectations low and then hopefully exceed the expectations. Is there a trail that goes up there? Oh, okay. I didn't know if you just went for it and started going through the brush or what. No, there was trails. And it was funny because as I was going up the trail, I kept thinking to myself, oh, well, I know it's only going to be like 100 more feet and I'll be up there. Right. But it took me an hour. And I had on my iPod and I listened to music. Did you bring a knife and flint just in case? No, I carried my pistol. Oh.
Wow. I said, hey, if I run into any kind of creatures, you know, there's gators up there. No, there's not. There's wild buffalo that roam up there. No, definitely not. Lions in the bush, you can never. No, you weren't in the bush. You can never, ever be too safe. You can say that again. Okay. Later on, I'm going to tell you about how much I hate going to the movie. I'll tell you about that later. I saw the movie Into the Wild, which my wife is convinced is what got me Into the Wild myself. Oh, really? Well, I'm reading the book Into the Wild. And so we went and saw it. I'll tell you about it later. Eddie, tell me about your thing. Because I know real sketchy details, but I don't really know much. But I know that Eddie had a very eventful Thanksgiving. Oh, what? Well...
We had a special guest this year. Really? A guest star? A guest star at Thanksgiving. Nice. Thanksgiving was at my aunt's house. And so, you know, me and my wife and my parents were coming from my parents' house. And I was carrying in food and stuff into the front door. So my wife opened the door for me, and I walked in first. And to my surprise, yay! was my sister. Now, for people that don't understand, what does this mean? Because a lot of people are like, well, what is the big deal? His sister. His sister is estranged basically from kind of the entire family. Pretty much. And has not made it a habit. And correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't want to mess it up. But I believe she has not been to... several years back family functions. She does not come for family functions at all. Very rare occasion that she'll show up. What does she say when she doesn't come? Why does she not come? She takes care of horses and things like that. Usually that's the reason that she doesn't have anybody to watch her animals for her. Stuff like that. She doesn't like us. Which is the real reason. I feel the same. This year,
I'm curious about so many things. Please, please. So I have a million questions for you. Okay, so when you walk in, you know, I know you pretty good. It's going to be hard for you to be like, oh, hot. Like, so how did you react? I walked in the door and I went, like, kind of took me aback. Like you're confused. Yeah, because she didn't tell anybody she was coming. She showed up. And I went, huh. And that's all I did. I put the food down. Right. And went about my business. Did you speak to her? No. You did not speak to her? No. She did not speak to you? No. She did not make an attempt? You did not make an attempt? Not initially, no. But then what? Well, at dinner, we were seated back to back. Can you pass the potatoes? She was behind me, and I was sitting in front of her. And at one point, this is the first time we spoke, she smacks me on the back and goes,
Hey, guess what? Which immediately rage fills inside me. And I turn around. Don't say a word. She goes, I'm going to Van Halen with Dina, my ex-girlfriend. Oh, she says that in front of your wife? In front of my wife. Are you kidding me? And so I go, great. And I just turn right back around. So she proceeds to get completely wasted. Oh, no. Literally a half an hour after dinner was over, she went into one of the rooms at my aunt's house and passed out. That was all that we saw of her. Then she left the next day. She brought a friend who had to stay there with us while she passed out that we don't know. We've never met before. That must have been a little uncomfortable. More questions. Did she make an attempt to speak to your wife? Kind of. Yeah. Like, you know, roundabout. Right. You know, like my wife was standing with one of my cousins and she came over and was talking to like both of them about stuff. Did, what was your mom's reaction to the surprise? I knew it. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Way to go, Mike. Well, Eddie gets upset with his mother because no matter how bad his sister or inappropriate his sister's behavior,
Eddie gets upset with his mother because his mother seems to always see that there's nothing wrong with it and that, you know, it's good. Yeah, makes excuses. Let me tell you a few things about this. First of all, my mom kind of walked around a little bit and didn't notice that she was there until like, you know, probably a good 30 seconds until like putting stuff down and, you know, walking around kind of hugging people and then she saw her and a yelp goes out, tears come down and I'm just like, wanted to throw up whatever then um at one point uh right before dinner starts my uncle whose house it was gives this big toast makes a big deal thank you beth for coming down and we're what a great surprise it is and you know we're so happy you're here and i'm just look i look at my wife and i go you know we came down from the same place right but you know it's like my entire life
Nobody cares about that because I do the right thing and show up every year. Every time. Every time. But the one time she shows up, they make a big deal out of it. They have a parade. It's like, whatever. I'm used to that. So then, another point, my mom... Somebody asked, you know, hey, where'd Beth go? And this was after she passed out from being wasted. And she goes, oh, well, she's so tired from her drive. And she wanted to go take a nap. And I finally had enough. And I said, mom, she's wasted. What are you talking about? She passed out. She couldn't even, you know, put a sentence together. And she's like, oh, Eddie. Oh, wow. I just give up. Oh, that sucks, man. I was P.O.ed. How was the turkey? Not great. What? I had my first fried turkey, which I was really excited for because I never had one. Yeah. And it was so dry. Really? Yeah. And I don't know if it was like he didn't do the right thing, like brine in, inject it with stuff. Not that great. It was dry. I only got to see a game and a half of football. Why?
Because my aunt, whose house we were at, didn't want the game on. Oh, no. Come on. So I missed the second half of the Cowboys game and all of the Indianapolis game. Really? Yeah. And I was just like, get me out of here, man. I want to go back to my folks' house. That blows. It was unusual for it to not be at your folks', right? Kind of. They've sort of been switching off at different houses. Christmas is going to be at my folks' house, thank God. It is? Yeah. Skye, how about you? Everything was really good, except for the fact that the turkey almost didn't make it. Why? You fried it, right? Yeah, that was the plan. But we had left our deep fryer at my husband's uncle's house. And, you know, he had it. And so he was supposed to bring it. So we told him to be there an hour early. Great. So, you know, we had the turkey brined, everything ready, cool, we're ready to go. um he shows up and we're missing the piece that the turkey goes on because basically yeah because basically it like goes through the middle of the turkey and then has a stand on it because the turkey's not supposed to touch the pot right that piece not there no so what did you do uh it's one o'clock on thanksgiving day and my husband's like oh just run over to target and uh they should sell accessories
It's Thursday, though. It's Thanksgiving Day. Yeah. Do you think they're open? Well, if they're not open, Home Depot will probably... Home Depot. They're probably not running either. So I start frantically calling everyone. Nobody's open except I finally get to Walmart. An Asian Walmart in... Right. Yes. Walmart is open until 1.30. It's like 1.05. And I'm about 15 minutes away from Walmart in the car. So I jump in the car. I go there. There's no accessory thing like my husband claims. Yeah, they don't sell just... They sell the kit. Yeah, but he claimed that there's some sort of accessory packet. No, no. Now, this is interesting because if this were me, I would have no problem spending, you know, whatever it would cost to get a brand new fryer. even though I know we've already got a fryer. That you only use every other year or so. And less people think, oh, Mikey, are you saying that because you make a ton of money? No, that would have been me when I was broke, broke, broke. Like, that's just how I am. That's just how you... But Skye... Oh, opposite. ...is the opposite. So I am, of course, not finding this package that my husband's talking about that has the accessories in it. So I start going up and down every aisle trying to find...
pieces that i can macgyver into this thing i end up finding a metal paper towel holder and i'm like okay well if we rip this wooden bottom piece off and then if we take a baker's like rack that you cool the cookies on and screw it to the paper towel holder wow and that's what we did and it worked and it worked perfect no way perfect total macgyver move It cost, the paper towel holder was the only piece I had to buy. And that was, I believe, like $7.95. Wow. That's awesome. That is brilliant. Thank you. But we were out of time because we couldn't bake it. I mean, there was no option. If we didn't find something to MacGyver, it wasn't going to happen. Really? Because Walmart was already set up for Christmas when I went in there. So they didn't have the Thanksgiving stuff out anymore. They were already set up for Christmas on Thanksgiving. So, yeah. It was, I was... freaking out. Did you stay home Black Friday? Of course, right? You're not going into that. Eddie, how was Black Friday for your mom? That's your mom's favorite day of the year. My mom's favorite day of the year. They got up at 4 o'clock. My wife included and my aunts and cousins and they all went out and they were there gone until about 4 in the afternoon. I had one major question that my wife had no answer for.
If they all go together, how do they buy gifts for each other? They kind of break apart when they get to the store and do their thing. And then once they're in the bags... Nobody knows what's what. And they know what their bags are. Yeah, and they help each other with other people's gifts and stuff like that. That's cool. And I gotta say, man, the deals they got were incredible. You can buy a GPS, a good one, like a TomTom, for like $120. Oh, my gosh. That's crazy. I would be interested to see. I bet your mom saves so much money. I was impressed, man. They were buying stuff that I was like, wow, you got that for that much? I heard laptops were a big deal this year. Really inexpensive laptops. And today is something called Cyber Monday, which I had never heard of. What? I guess it's not new, but this year it's really big. And I think in the coming years, this is going to become as big as Black Friday, Cyber Monday. See, this is what I'm all about. Today is my day. I'll do all my shopping online. Well, I'll try and do a lot of my shopping online today. Well, they say 75% of online retailers are participating in Cyber Monday. Yeah, they offer deals, you know, like price discounts, but a lot of free shipping is, you know, regardless of how much money you spend free shipping. Yeah, and I mean, if you're doing something fed,
That's pretty cool. What about Amazon? I don't know. If they say 75%, you've got to figure. That's cool, man. That's great. That's how a lot of us do it. My family said that the turkey that I did was their favorite yet. I did the brine and it came out really good. It was so kickback. We had a little bit of drama. In fact, I'll tell you on the air what I haven't even told the family yet, which is we had kind of decided that we were going to go to Arizona for Christmas. We're not going to. And they don't even know it yet. The only people that know are me and Rebecca. And now all you P1s. Now you guys all know. And if my brother's listening online, because he does, that was the deal. I had to call him and say, we just can't do it. You know, it's just too complicated. It's too complicated. There's too much stuff involved in going. If it was a deal where we were going there and we were staying put, it'd be one thing. But the way that we were having to do it is flying into Phoenix, driving Christmas Day to Tucson, spending the day, with Jake, you know. Oh, yeah, of course. Spending the day, driving back to Phoenix.
flying out of Phoenix, it was just becoming logistically not any fun. Yeah. And that's what it's supposed to be. So, it kind of bums me out that we're going to be here and it's just going to be Rebecca, me, Jake, and her mom, but whatever, you know. That would be nice. Yeah. Whatever. I wouldn't mind one of those. Right. I'm actually not that, you know, it's not that... You're in your own place. Yeah. Enjoy your own decorations. Mm-hmm. It's cool. You getting a treat this year? That... Oh man, I was, Eddie, I was about to hit the button. I was right about to hit the button and I thought, they didn't ask, they didn't ask. It only came up in that second in my mind. I wonder if they're asked. Here comes the button and then Eddie. Thank you, Eddie. Eddie's bowing to the audience. I love it. You're welcome. Because I said last year that this year we would do it. Yes, you did. So the truth of the matter is, is that I do not have an answer to the question. I don't have it. I mean, it's certainly not no, but it's. Far from yes. So I guess I'll have to be talked into it. Here's what we have coming up for you next. A couple of things. A member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers lost his house in the Malibu fire over the weekend. The Disney movie Enchanted was number one at the box office this weekend, bringing in 50 million over the holiday weekend. Some key injuries that happened in yesterday's NFL games. Mark Bolger had a concussion. Jeff Garcia hurt his back.
and Cedric Benson hurt his ankle. All of them left their games. Eddie, Enchanted is that movie that we saw getting filmed in April when we were in New York for the draft. It's doing real good. I watched the trailer for it online, and maybe it's because I'm old, but I thought it looked kind of cute. I thought I could see that. Very sorry I decided to go to the movie this weekend. Went to see the movie Into the Wild. I'll tell you about the experience experience, which I hated. Tell you about that coming up. Man, that's more like it, Sean. That is more like it. Nice. That's actually a lot more like it. Oh, dude. So, I'm watching the game yesterday, and I thought tomorrow's going to be fun to talk to Sean. Yeah, it's a little bit more easy to have these conversations, I'll admit.
Man, you were like a man possessed out there, Sean. What's going on? Before the game, I got a chance to talk to Ray. I talked to a couple of guys I knew on the team. I had a feeling before the game that they were desperate, too. I really wanted to show Ray and a bunch of guys that they come into my house and end up having a good day. That's awesome. I wonder if today, is it Willis McGahee? Is that the running back? Willis McGahee, does he have, you think, your helmet tattooed on his forehead? That was a nice hit. Obviously, it was a blown protection. You were able to get to him before. I don't know that he took a step and you were to him, and it looked very painful. Well, you know, that was the first time I've ever probably came free like that. And the whole time running to Willis.
I was thinking I didn't feel right. It wasn't even comfortable running free like that. I've never been free like that. I got a real good shot on him. Yeah, yeah. Now, here's my question. The defense looked so good yesterday. I mean, everything just looked like it was clicking. It reminded me again. It reminded me of the Denver game in Denver. And so I couldn't wait to get you on today and say to you, have things changed? Like, during the week, Was it a situation where the players got together, talked to the coaches, and said, this is what we want to do, and that's what happened? Well, you know, LT brought the team up during the week, and we had a real good conversation. His point was basically about sacrificing something for the betterment of the team. And I think it hit home with a lot of people, and we started to really understand what it means to win and to be a winning football team. But I'm still confused, Sean. LT gets up, he says it's about sacrifice, but what I'm wondering is, you guys looked a million times more aggressive yesterday. Was it the same defensive scheme that you guys have been playing, or were you allowed to let the dogs loose a little bit? Yeah, what was the difference? Yeah,
We did mix it up a little bit. We kept them on their toes. As you've seen, we moved around a lot. Stim in the front and something we call Hollywood, but it's basically disguising. So the quarterback didn't know what we were doing. We mixed it up quite a bit yesterday, and I think it caught not only the quarterback, but a lot of the offensive linemen. I think that's why I came free on that one, because they didn't know who was coming or who was dropping. They were pretty mixed up. Sean, please keep doing that. Yeah. I mean, seriously, I hope that you guys keep doing it every week. Like, the offense on the other side of the field is confused by you guys. That's great. I mean, I'm really enjoying it. You're just hearing a normal guy reacting to what you're saying. That's awesome. Keep doing it. Awesome! I think there's something we have to do for the remainder of the season because we've been predictable. For the last few games, there's a lot of things we were doing. I can also blame that on ourselves because we have to take it upon ourselves to go out there and give teams a different look. Okay, that's confusing to me. I mean, how is it your responsibility to give the team a different look if you're only executing the plan? We have to say as players, no matter what players are called, that we have to execute them. Instead of lining up saying,
We don't think this is the right player. We don't think this is the right coverage or blitz or stunt. We have to line up and say, and take it to our own hands, and say no matter what player is called, we have to make something of it. And I think that we all had an attitude to do it yesterday. Eddie, you got a question? Yeah, you know, basically, Sean, we've seen this kind of performance a few times this year. Do you think this game is finally the game that's going to give you kind of that momentum that you guys have been looking for consistency-wise? Well, yeah. You know, and that's the case. We felt that Indy was the game to do it. We felt that Denver, the first time we played them, was the game to do it. We have to have that attitude now. We have now five games left. And how do we want to finish it out? It's really on us and how we approach these last five games. Well, I saw it, you know, yesterday, early in the game, Phillip Rivers struggling a little bit.
He's walking off the field. The crowd is booing. He gets mad at the crowd. Goes on the sideline. You see him very fired up, very emotional. He's yelling at people that will listen. One of the people that will listen is one of his offensive coaches. And then he goes out there and just kills it. It's awesome. He's on fire. And I thought to myself, if that's what it takes, great. Well, look, if it takes him to yell at a few people, He can yell at me before the game to get him hyped and start yelling at everybody else to keep performing to the way he did yesterday. Right. And how about LT? Goes over 10,000. That had to be cool to be a part of. You know, I don't think that that was probably made as big as it was. You know, LT still has years left to play. You know, God willing, he stays healthy. And I was just happy to be around greatness and something that, you know, probably I would never see again in history. Randy Cross said yesterday that he's one of those amazing cases where he's actually a better person than he is a football player, which is saying a lot when you consider what kind of football player he is. And I think he hit it right on the nose. I mean, for a guy to accomplish what he accomplished and to still have the same attitude, work ethics, and everything else, is that somebody is still trying to achieve to be the best.
You know, it's just not enough you can say about that guy. Sean Merriman's on the line with us. He does a report with us every Monday after the game. How do you feel right now physically, Sean? You know, I feel pretty good. You know, a lot of people think it's the day that you get up that you start to feel like aches and pains, but it's actually Tuesday. You know, because your adrenaline is still going. You know, Monday, and then when you finally come down and you rest a little bit, and Tuesday is when you... you start getting, like, aches and pains. But I'm sure I feel a lot better than Willis. Tomorrow is a day off, right? Yeah. You guys get Tuesday off. What will you do? Just rest a little bit. I'll still be here and, you know, get an extra workout in and extra cold tub and stretches. You know, just try to take care of my body to finish the season. I'm healthy. Hey, did you go back to Maryland for Thanksgiving? No, no, I wish. I wish. I actually will have a teammate of mine, Steven Cooper.
Went over to his house. His family was in town, so I got a chance to go over there. Was there any other Charger players? Yeah, a few of the linebackers. We hang together pretty much. Last year, I went over to LT's place. I probably still go over to some teammates' houses. What do you like, white meat or dark meat? I eat everything, man. I'm not too picky. What's your favorite? What's your favorite Thanksgiving? What kind of question was that? That was related to food, right? Are you Lindsay Lohan or Alicia Keys? That's basically what I was asking. Okay, so you had a great Thanksgiving. You're over at Stephen Cooper's place. What's your favorite Thanksgiving? You got all these side dishes. You got the turkey. What's your favorite one? Candy ass. Hands out. What is it? Yams? Yams, yeah. Oh, wow. I'll pass. Yeah. There's a lot of people said they're not down with the yams when you said that. But, hey, to each their own, Sean. Yeah, I guess Sean's like them. Our sound effects guy, Sean, likes them, too. What do you know about that? Well, there you go. All right, Sean, listen. Who's next? Who's the next victim? Who are you playing next? We have Kansas City next. Oh, whatever about them.

Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. The ride is pretty tough getting in and out of downtown right now. You've got another accident. It was southbound 5 here around Pershing Drive. It was an overturned car blocking the fast lane. Medics on the scene. That's got traffic quite backed up into the downtown S-curve past the bridge. And another accident about mid-span on the bridge keeping things very tough trying to get into Coronado this morning. And this accident on the southbound 5 has affected the northbound 5 as well because emergency crews are on that side of the freeway in the fast lane here. And that's why you're backed up pretty much out of Chula Vista on this North 5. Pretty solid all the way to downtown. West 94 affected by the busy fire freeway. That's solid break. That's here as well from Euclid into the downtown area. The West 8, not too bad. It's a good-looking ride, actually, in the Mission Valley. West 52, just a minor delay near the top of the summit there. South 15, getting to be rougher out of Escondido. Up to 78 to Villarancho Parkway. More traffic from Carmel Mountain Road on down to the 56th.
And the Costa Rides tap on five. Quite a struggle from La Costa down to Manchester. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Like the creepy grandpa. Only on the Mikey Show. Welcome back. It's a Mikey Show at 720. There was a scary moment on Saturday when a brush fire broke out in Ramona. Chargers ripped the Ravens 32-14.
Everybody breaks out of their slump, including Phillip Rivers, Sean Merriman, and Antonio Gates. Yeah, and it was pretty nice to be listening to ESPN this morning and get to hear this. Cut 59. Well, Rivers knows he's going to hand it off. Tomlinson left side. He turns the corner. First down and more. 50, 45, 40. Racing down the sidelines. 10,000 yards career for the future Hall of Famer, LaDainian Tomlinson. Oh! That's right. Awesome. And that was followed up by, that is KIOZ Radio's Josh Lewin, who's in the studio with us right now. Did they actually throw that out there? That's cool. Dude, they do. Yeah, they do. And it's awesome to hear, because I go, hey, I know that guy. That guy was dancing like a moron at Van Halen last night. Were you really? Yeah, if you saw some idiot in a red shirt about 20 rows back doing the worst white guy dancing ever, that How was it? Did you enjoy the show? It was a great show. I mean, Charger win and Van Halen. I mean, that's a really good day. And David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen didn't fight during the middle of the concert? No, you know what? They got along through the whole concert? Let me tell you something. I mean, obviously I'm completely straight and everything like that, but David Lee Roth is cut. Oh, come on. I mean, he's like 50 what years old or whatever? Eddie and I were talking about it before the show started this morning about how he's kind of an old guy that still thinks he's young. You're saying hot.
No, I'm not saying he's hot. I'm just saying he's in shape. You said extra hot. No, I really didn't say that. Right now, we heard what you said. You said you tried to get backstage. You said you want to get back together. No, if I had a man crush, it wouldn't be David Leroy. I'm just saying the guy, he and Sting, it's like, where do you guys work out? Was he wearing anything sequined? Yeah, you know what? He did the whole super tight pants thing and jammed somebody's cell phone down in there to take a picture. And it's like, all right, huh? I'd be like, you can keep it. Thanks for sweating on my cell phone, dude. Oh, man. Good show. The really good show. Well, the reason for the tight pants is, you know, in rock music, that's very in. Right. Sexy. Yeah. Dead sexy. But the music was good. No, the music was fine. How did he sound after all these years? He sounded good. I mean, I don't know what my expectations were or why they were so low. Right. I guess I just, you know, was trying to not get my hopes up too much that this would sound like what I was, you know, all about in, like, high school and college. They sounded really good. What about Eddie Van Halen's son? He was playing bass. I know. It was freaking me out. How was that? I'm trying to put two and two together there, going, yeah, this guy's related. No, he was good. That's crazy. He was good? Yeah. It was just a great day yesterday. Seriously. I mean, good Charger game, good music, and the turkey is settling in nicely. There you go. Yeah. Cut 61. On KO. Rivers. Hats to football. Now going for Gates, who's open at the 10. Five. Touch.
How do you suppose Antonio Gates got so wide open? A couple times yesterday. You try to cover that guy with a linebacker, it's not working, right? No way. No. No, that was good times yesterday. Chargers needed that. And the 10,000-yard mark for LT, I mean, the whole thing was just a cool thing. Great day. I'm telling you. What time do you have to get there on a 1 o'clock... day you know what i mean the more i'm in town now and the more i'm meeting people i i like to tailgate i like to just go out and meet people and hang i mean if there's p1s that like have a really good tailgate uh let me know because i like to go free food i do you know and uh i mean people are great it smells so good in that parking lot doesn't it oh man you know i walk over from my place about you know eight o'clock in the morning and there's people out there that are frying up bacon and eggs and stuff like that and the smell of that it reminds me of like camping and open fire exactly and i'm a total scavenger i mean i just kind of like now it used to be that i like was hoping like people would know who i was now i want to get recognized right people go hey dude come on over here i got a burrito yeah so no i'm usually there about uh i don't know about yeah 8 45 or 9 uh and go on with you guys eddie what about 10 30 10 40 go talk to norv after that we do the interview with norv um walk
the field a little bit, try to talk to some of the players and just kind of get a feel for what's going on, and then just try to memorize names and numbers furiously for a while, and then we're on the air, what, about 12.30, 12.40? Well, yeah, I told you. Norv Turner, you don't sound very happy today, or even after you got the win. Well, I'm ecstatic at what it is. Norv is not Rocky Road ice cream, boys. He's very vanilla. But you know what? I mean, that's a nice win for North yesterday. I don't think you can find anything wrong with that. I told you eventually it was going to start to come around with it. I almost cried. Cut 60. Rivers forcing it into the end zone. Touchdown! Chambers! Back to the end zone! And Hank, they might have gotten away with one there. The play clock was at zero. They let the play go, and Chambers scores! San Diego on the board again. You're so much better than what is on TV. It's true. I'm not kidding, man. And it's hard for me because I can't sync the satellite. Because I got the satellite. I got the DirecTV.
I can't sync that with you guys and your call because they're so far behind. No, that's cool, though. I mean, and I appreciate the kind words. I mean, but it's this team, you know, when it's going well, you know, you just hang on for the ride. I mean, they're the exciting ones. I just, you know, I just report what's going on. That particular call right there on television, they go, Randy Cross goes, that's that quick release of Philip Rivers and that, you know, shotgun gun of an arm. And I was like, Well, that wasn't a quick release because he kind of rolled out and, you know, found Chambers. And then it was a lob. I was like, I wish I could listen to the radio. I just want to listen. No, but I messed stuff up like that, too. I mean, but for the grace of God goes all of us. That Indianapolis play-by-play guy, right, called the Venetary field goal good? Yeah. And it wasn't. Remember that a couple weeks ago? Yeah. I mean, that was unfortunate. That happens to everybody. Yeah. I would just much rather listen to the radio. It really is a good call, man. I mean, I know you're being modest, but it's a good call. Well, it's fun. And if it gets me free burritos from P1s, then I'm good. The next home game is mid-December, so flag me down and let me know. Is that the Detroit game? Are you going? That's the one you're going to, right? I'm going to the Detroit game. Now, my dad, it's for my dad.
My dad wanted to go back so bad because he likes the snacks. Is he Rob? I'm telling you, man. And so that's the game that he said that he wanted to go to. It should be a fun game. It actually is going to be a good game now. Real good game because the Lions will be kind of fighting for their playoff lives and all that. Now the Chargers go to Kansas City here, and all of a sudden if the Chiefs lose this game, they're done. I mean, they're 4-8. So they're on the ropes. They're desperate. I don't like playing teams like that. Well, I mean, the Chargers have a chance to discard them. You know, just go in there. The Chiefs have already lost four home games this year. They usually don't do anything close to that. So what's the plan now? For people that don't know, Josh lives in Texas, and so you fly out here for this thing. Now you go home. You spend a little time with the family? I do. I go home. The little band that I'm in has gigs this week. We're going to play a couple places, and I'm going to get ready for the Kansas City game. Like Texas Stadium? Oh, yeah. American Airlines Center. We're opening for Foo Fighters. There you go. Where was Thanksgiving for you?
Thanksgiving was home and then in College Station, Texas. I did the Texas A&M game on radio. And getting in and out of College Station is not a lot of fun. Is that Interstate 20? What is that? No, you know what it is? You go right by LT's little hometown. In fact, you go right through it. Marlin, Texas. It's Route 6 in the middle of nowhere, Texas. Don't break down when you're out there. No, I know. Tell me about it. Especially the, you know. I know what you're going on in your mind. Don't even say it. No, I know you're going to say creepy stuff, you crazy man. No, you don't want to. I'm going through there in the daytime. I'm not worried about what might happen. Well, there it is. But you don't want to break down. Next week, Kansas City and Josh Lewin does play-by-play for the San Diego Chargers. Before we go, I wanted to tell you. teased this, but we didn't get to it. Somebody's house burned down from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Malibu fires. It was flea. His exact words were that it burnt to a crisp. There was huge fires again over the weekend in Malibu, and I was just...
praying, please don't let him start up here again. And yeah, Malibu was affected real hard again, right? Yeah, about 50 homes burned. Just under 5,000 acres was the last count. They hope to have that completely contained by Tuesday. Flea, luckily, he wasn't living in the home. It was up for sale at the time for $4.8 million, but like Mikey said, burned to a crisp. Other celebrities evacuated in the Malibu fire, Matthew McConaughey and Minnie Driver. He's a nice Texas boy. So him and who? Mini driver. What happens if you're selling a house and it burns? You better still have your insurance. Bad timing. It sells a lot. Don't go anywhere. I'm never going to the movie again. What happened? I'm right there with you, dude. I'm never going to the movie again. I will now. I made the decision when we went to the movie. I just said, you know what? I'm good. I'll wait until everything comes on DVD. I have breaking news, too. Go ahead. An all-pro NFL player has been shot. I'll tell you who it is after the break. All right, man. Thank you, Josh. Appreciate it. Bye-bye. That's a tough ride here getting in and out of downtown and around this S-curve. A couple of accidents really made a mess of things this morning. Still working on one southbound 5 in the fast lane right around Pershing Drive. And that's why you're all backed up into downtown. That's affecting the south 163 as well to a ballpark trying to get onto the fire freeway. Northbound 5 for a while there was blocked in the fast lane by medical crews. They're out of the way but not before it did damage to that side of the freeway. That is all backed up now from Chula Vista. Pretty solid.
into the downtown S-curve. West 94 affected by the busy 5. That's a solid break. That's now from Federal all the way to the 5. Westbound 8 hasn't been too bad this morning. Getting a little bit tighter, though, from Spring Street now out to Lake Murray. From there, you're pretty much good to go in the Mission Valley. South 15 stays slow and go out of Escondido. From Auto Parkway to Villa Rancho. A few more breakbacks in Carmel Mountain Ranch. And the coast arrived. Southbound 5's got a struggle here from La Costa. Solid down past Manchester. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Now back to the Mikey Show. A very enlightened Mikey. Yeah, I don't like the dark. Eddie. I've had a goatee now going on about 13 years. Guy. You know me. I live the life of like a 65-year-old woman. Sean. I'm a germaphobe. Boston Rob. I thoroughly enjoy listening to jazz music. And Ashley. Due to my carelessness, I'm extremely prone to self-inflicting injury. Mickey Snow's on. Rock 105.3. Well, old school on you with this one.
It's 7.36. Paris Hilton allegedly sold pictures of Nicole Richie's baby shower to the paparazzi. The NFL player all pro that was shot. Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor was shot in his home early this morning about 1.30 a.m. Conflicting reports. Some say he was shot twice. Some say it was just once in the leg. But either way, it was at his house. They're not sure if it was a burglary or what was going on, but he is in critical condition right now. Dude, that guy's had some issues, man. Yeah, big time. He has had some issues. A couple things. First of all, this isn't going to surprise one P1 that listens to The Mikey Show. P1s, by the way, are Mikey Show listeners. When they call in, they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. This will not surprise. One of them. Sean gave the worst tip he's ever given, he said. Oh, wow. Oh, that's bad. And rightfully so. Oh. Well, here we go. Let's be the judge of that. What happened? So, we went out to eat for lunch at a restaurant after Thanksgiving. And we get there before the rush. It was well before anything was going on. We got there right at 11.30.
And put in our order. Waited. Waited. Waited. 15 minutes go by. 15 minutes? That's not very long. Is the story over? No, I'm just saying that you said waited and waited and waited. No, no, no. I just thought when I heard waited and waited, I thought 45 minutes later. Is the story over? No, it certainly isn't. It certainly is not over. Please continue. We're sorry. So a grand total of 15 minutes later, what happened next? We asked our waitress for some bread because we were very hungry. Waited, waited, waited, waited. Eight minutes later. No, 10, 30 seconds later. Hey, come on. It was probably about five minutes later. Five minutes later, still nothing. Okay. So we waved over another waiter because she was nowhere to be found.
Hey man, can we get some bread, please? And how about some water? Sky, you're a former server. That's like real bad to do, right? Don't those servers, they don't like that when you do that, when you call another server? Uh, no. No. That's fine. You're saying, no, it doesn't bother them? No, I mean, it does bother them. What are you supposed to do? Right, but if somebody's dropping the ball, obviously the server gets it. Like, okay, well, these people are getting bad service. And they're not liking what I'm doing. I better step it up a notch. Customers are divas. Please, I want to hear this story, you guys. Go ahead, please. Okay, so 20 minutes goes by, and we call this other guy over. Can we please get some bread? And how about some water? So, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Another five minutes goes by. Still nothing. So, we call the waitress over again, our original server. Please, some bread, please. And we're thirsty. Okay, fine. So, another five minutes goes by. Okay, so it's been a half an hour. We've been there half an hour so far. And you haven't gotten bread or water? We don't have bread. No order. We don't have water, no order, no nothing. Why would you stay?
Well, I wanted to leave, but it's Dina's favorite restaurant. She really wants to stay. So we're waiting, waiting, waiting. Another 10 minutes goes by. Now we've been there 40 minutes, and I'm furious. I'm spitting mad. Now I'm with you. I would be too. So my wife gets up. She walks over to where the servers are, where they prepare all their junk, because our server is not walking around. She's staying over there. She goes over there. And she says, what's up with our food? Oh, yeah. The kitchen lost your ticket. I'm sorry. Huh? They lost our ticket. Oh, man. And she didn't notice? She forgot that she had you as a table? This time, I'm over there now. Oh, no. Oh, boy. Oh, I wouldn't want that. Mr. Confrontation now. I bet this is going to be bad. It's not going to be bad. Well, Sean's not confrontational until he feels he's been wrong. So I walk up and I go, I go, what's the deal? And my wife turns to me and says, they lost our ticket. I go, lost our ticket? I look at the woman and I go, when did this happen? And she goes, about 10 minutes ago. I go, when were you going to tell us?
I go, we're sitting there like chumps waiting for our food, and you're not telling us anything? And she goes, I'm really sorry, sir. I go, well, send the manager over as soon as you can. And so we went and sat down. So the manager comes over, and I explain the whole thing. I'm like, here we are, 45 minutes. We have no food, no bread, no water, no drinks, no nothing. And she goes, I'm so sorry. I'm going to bring you over something right now so you guys can have something to eat. The kitchen is working on your order right now. I'll have everything sent over as soon as it's ready. Okay, fine. What kind of restaurant? It's just like a Chili's kind of a place, I guess. Maybe a little bit higher in. So she brings over two bowls of cut-up melon and puts it in front of us. Here you go. What?
I go, what is this? She goes, well, since you're waiting, I wanted to make sure you had something. I go, well, can I have some bread? Oh, did you want some bread? I'm like, oh, my God. Leave. Go. Okay, so another five minutes goes by, and they bring the food over, and the food was really good. Now we come to the tip. So we paid with a credit card. I took a quarter out of my pockets. I cleared everything out from the center of the table, and I put that quarter right in the middle of the table. Wow. You showed her. Now, Eddie, what would you have done? I would have been gone already. Me too, but let's say that you stayed. The meal was great. If I stayed, I would have...
Depending on what the bill is, I don't know what the bill is. I would have probably left a couple of bucks, but it wouldn't have been a great tip. But it would have been a tip. The thing that made me angry was she knew that something happened to the ticket, and she didn't, first of all, let us know, and she didn't take steps to rectify the situation. Oh, oh, and, and... So the manager says, oh, yeah, and I'll help you out with the bill. So the bill comes over, nothing. Nothing? Because that's what I was going to say. Like, I would have complained to get something comped. They should have comped the whole thing. Right. That's what I thought. Now, were you guys at any point, like, unreasonable? Maybe they were, the lady was mad, and she was like, I'm not going to take anything off their ticket because they were such jerks about it. Well, I was being a jerk. I'll admit that. I was being a jerk. I was saying rude things. I was acting real snotty. But she got you the melon. That's true. Did she charge you for that melon? No. Oh, well? No. Hey, you got free melon. Yeah. What are you complaining about? Don't, don't. Just don't. No, no, no. But I'm saying she didn't charge you for that. It's probably delicious. I mean, technically, that's something you got. We sat there for 45 minutes. Melon? It's free. Yeah, someone sounds a bit ungrateful.
Sounds like somebody's got a case of the moon days. Good point. No, you know what I'm saying. Melon days. Yep. He sounds all melancholy about it. Weird. Very weird. Good for you, Sean. I'll never go to the movie again until I change my mind and decide to go to a movie again. Well, way to lay down the law there. I'm really taking a stand. Good for you, man. I will never. go to the movie theater again. Isn't that horrible? Until something cool comes out and I really want to see it. Right, right. But until then, which the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie comes out in December and I'll go, but until then, I will never go back. So for a couple weeks, you're boycotted. Statement. In the next two weeks, no way will I go back to the movie. Wow. You put them on notice. That's right. Take that, movie industry. What happened? It's just a terrible look. It's all the usual. It's all the usual complaints that we have. Oh. Nothing different. Just the usual stuff that everybody listening right now doesn't like. We all don't like the same stuff. The movie started at 7.45 p.m. We arrived. What day? Friday? Friday night?
Saturday night. Friday night. Oh, you're playing with fire. That's automatic. We were going to see a movie that wasn't that popular. Oh, but dude. Automatic disaster. And it's at an indie theater. We were at Flower Hill Mall where my wife humiliated herself in front of Drew Brees years ago. Oh, that's right. By pointing at him and saying out loud to my dad, Dad! Dad! That's Drew Brees! And my dad, confused. What do you... Who is... Who is it? Drew Brees. You know, he's the quarterback dad for the Chargers. Drew Brees. This was the day after Drew Brees had messed his arm up. He's in a sling and it's raining and he just wants to get out of the movie Munich because he just saw Munich. And I had been really cool to Drew just moments earlier, but anyways. But anyways. So it was the same movie theater, Flower Hill Mall.
We went to see the movie Into the Wild. So the movie starts at 7.45. We got there about 7.40. My personal opinion, if movie trailers have not begun, you're fine. That's my personal opinion. Maybe some of you guys have a harder stance. And you say, no, I feel you should be there 10 minutes before the lights ever go out. But personally, I say once lights are out, that's that. If you come in after that point, I deem you rude. Including myself. If I show up after Lights Out, I'm rude. Wow. Oh, no. You know what that is, Sky. He's that guy. Hey, if I'm paying, I can show up for the credits. You know what I mean? And it's not like I'm going to walk right in front of you. You know what I mean? Like, at that point, I'm sitting first available seat. Ashley, do you feel that way? You're the same generation as Rob. Do you feel the same way? I think you do. I see it on your face. I don't really go to the movies, and the couple times that I have, it doesn't cross my mind. Like, whenever I get there, I get there. I like to get there. I like to get there, preferably, like, mid-trailers. So, because my attention span, and, you know, and then I can do it. The less that I have to watch the trailers, the better. But if I know it's going to be crowded, I'll get there earlier. Damn it! Depends. No big deal, though. I don't really care. Oh!
your way. Doesn't affect your personal life. For sure not. Good point. Who cares? So, the movie is, well, first of all, the trailers are going and somebody walks in, which immediately annoys me because they're fumbling around in the dark, looking for a seat first, and then people are standing up so that they can get to their seat. And that was on a scale of 1 to 10. Annoying to me, but only at about a 2. Then the movie starts. And here comes this couple. And they come in and their cell phone is ringing as they're in there. And then you see them like, oh man, I forgot to turn that off. And I just, I have in my heart at that moment, I have no forgiveness. I do not forgive them. Which is wrong, but I should and I don't. I don't forgive them.
So on a scale of 1 to 10, I'm at about a 7 on that one. It's pretty high up there. But it's nothing compared to the next 2 or 3 people that came in to see Into the Wild Friday night at 7.45 at the Flower Hill Mall. Not that you're naming names, right? Because I don't know them. But they came in. They got to the row behind us. And, of course, people are standing up. And it's behind you, but it's still commotion. And you're trying to pay attention to the words on the screen and what they're saying and all this stuff on the talkies. Oh, okay. And so they sit down. And you have to hear, hey, sorry we're late, man. Oh, no worries. So do we miss a lot? No, basically what's going on is blah. And I'm like, shush, shush.
If you're going to be 10 minutes late to the movie, you know what? You don't get to know what happened. You're bad. Which, by the way, when you consider that movies got like 10 minutes of trailers before they ever start, and a movie started at 7.45, and it's going to start at like 8 or something, and you're there 10 minutes late, what are you doing? Like, what were you doing? Like, I want to turn around and go, why are you guys so late? What were you guys up to? And be quiet, please. Oh, and then throughout the movie, it's constant like, oh my gosh, why would he do that? I don't know. I mean, you've got to figure he's got to be pretty hungry by now, right? Oh my gosh. Shut up! And constantly this... What did he say? He said that he'll go, but only if that guy goes with him. Oh my gosh. Wait, he said he'll what? He'll go, but only if... I'm like... The movie's...
Movies experience is terrible. And the floor. Like, seriously, I almost couldn't leave. I was almost stranded there like the guy from Into the Wild. Because my feet were stuck to the disgusting, sticky floor. Now, I know I sound like an old guy. I recognize it. But aye-yi-yi. Change the movie. Figure it out. How we can all go to the movies and people don't talk. Nobody wants to follow that rule. Let's do this. I have an idea. We'll take a quick time out. And then when we come back, I'm going to tell you. Sorry, I got hypnotized by Alicia Keys voice. When we come back, I'm going to tell you about how Miss Puerto Rico just won Miss Universe, even though she was sabotaged and people pepper sprayed her dress. They like did all this crap. Crazy stuff to try to mess her up. And she still wants... They spiked her makeup. Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a pretty creepy, weird story. So I'll tell you all about it when we come back. And we'll play the Dumb Chick Challenge next. Family, this is The Mikey Show. It doesn't come in a bottle or pill. I don't have to buy it from some guy on the street. Redskins all-pro safety Sean Taylor was shot in his Miami home. That is a crazy story, man. That is a crazy story. They say it hit his femoral artery, which means a lot of blood. A lot of blood lost. Oh, no.
That guy has been in a lot of trouble, man. It's just a troubled young kid. 24 years old. Before we went to break, I told you about Miss Puerto Rico. And I said that what it is, is it's whatever the pageant system is that sends somebody to Miss Universe. Right. So they were having the pageant that would decide what girl would represent Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands guy. Is that right? Yeah, they talk here about the beauty competitions in the Caribbean territory and the girl who this all happened to did win Miss World Caribbean back in 05. So yeah, I don't know how the pageant system works there, but they were trying to be the one to go on to be Miss Universe, to compete for Miss Universe. Yeah, so wait till we give you the details on what they did to her. Somebody was trying to sabotage her. What did they stick in her makeup? A spicy substance that made her face swell. And that's in addition to pepper spray all over her evening gowns, which made her break out in hives. Plus, a bag of her stuff containing clothes, makeup, and credit cards was stolen. And there were bomb threats phoned in. You know what instantly that reminds me of?
the cheerleaders in Texas. Oh, yeah. That's what it brings to mind for me. Yeah, well, they say that this gal that all this happened to was, you know, the favorite in the competition and media was saying, oh, she was a shoe-in to win, you know. What if it was Tanya Harding that did it all? Well, I don't think Tanya. What if, though? That would be cool. But I don't think she was going to win. What if Tanya Harding was responsible? I don't think she was. And what if, like, how ironic would it be if Miss Puerto Rico had gone, why? Why? That would be ironic. Why? That would be actual irony. That would be irony. Quite the coincidence. Weird. How ironic it would be. Okay. I didn't know that if you sprayed pepper spray on stuff that it would still mess you up. I thought it had to be sprayed in your face. Yeah. It made her break out in hives. And so she would have to go out on the runway and out in front of the judges and be all composed. And they say as soon as she would get backstage, they would rip all her clothes off and put ice packs. all over her body and face. I think that that's so, such a face in the face of the saboteurs. Right. Like, they must have been so mad. Right. Because if you're that wacky that you'll go to that extreme, imagine it doesn't work out and she wins anyway. Like, you must be enraged if you were willing to go that far in the first place. And so, I guess, you know, the headline...
Obviously, this morning is Neener Neener. Wait, I think... How does Neener Neener... How does the words Neener Neener mean something like, you know, in your face? I don't understand. We have a Hall of Famer on the phone right now. We have a Hall of Famer on the phone right now. P1 Hall of Famer? It is not P1 Hall of Famer. Oh. It is a NFL Hall of Famer. Oh, my. Wow. On the phone with us right now, Mr. Troy Aikman. Hey. Woo-hoo! I think I should call you Mr. Aikman. No, no, no. Call me Troy. How's everybody doing out there on the left coast? We're doing good. We're doing good. And I got to tell you, Troy, it's heartbreaking for me growing up and for my producer and best friend Eddie here. We were 49er fans, and you killed us a lot of times. But I'll tell you what, man. I have so much respect for what you accomplished. I mean, you're one of those guys. You're one of those guys that when...
people think of the all-time greats. The name Troy Aikman comes up. Well, thank you. Thank you. That's nice of you. Talking about the 49er games that we were a part of, those were obviously a lot of fun. And even in today's game, this game that's coming up Thursday with the Cowboys and Packers kind of reminds me of some of those great games that we had back in the early 90s. What a real chunk of history you were involved with. And, I mean, really a storybook career. Right, Troy? Yeah, you know, I mean, I've been really fortunate. I grew up there in Orange County, as a matter of fact, and then moved when I was in junior high at Oklahoma. And wound up going, obviously, back out there to college at UCLA and had a lot of great times there. And then the year spent in Dallas. You're right. I'm fortunate in that I dreamed of being a professional athlete for my entire life. I got to achieve that and then was able to enjoy some success and team success along with it. It's been fun for me. Here's my list of questions that I have that I would store away for if I ever get to talk to Troy Aikman, I want to know. Here are some of those questions. Do you wear...
any of your Super Bowl rings on a daily basis? I do not. I wear my Super Bowl ring primarily only during broadcast, and that's about it. Is it the last Super Bowl that you won? It is. And you know what? I'll be honest with you. I always felt that when I was early in my career that if I ever won a Super Bowl, I would never take the ring off. But I found that just kind of knowing you have it and people know you have it was enough for me. So it's not something I wear a lot of. In fact, I don't know many of my teammates who wear theirs all that often. And are you able to... feel comfortable keeping it in a display case at home, or do you have to have those things locked away in some sort of Fort Knox-type box somewhere? No, I do not put them on display just because that would be a little bit arrogant. Well, I'm in a trophy room. Wait a minute. Wait a second, Troy. I will tell you, though, that one of the neat things, not every team got this, but one of the things Jerry Jones did for us, which was really nice, was that each year that we were able to win a Super Bowl,
He got a replica of the Lombardi trophy. It's not quite as big, about half the actual size, but very, very nice. And so I do have those in my trophy case at my house, but that's probably about it from my playing days. It's so funny that you mention that because I just saw something on TV about Dre Bly. He won a Super Bowl his first year with the Rams, and he had one of those, and I was like, what? That looks like the Lombardi trophy. I'm like, how does he have that? See, I think it would be really cool for you to display him. I think arrogant would be if you called it your Troy-fy room. That would be a little bit out there. And another question that I have for you is, when you guys go to commercial, is there joking around between you and Joe, or are you guys very serious up there? A little bit of both. I would say more joking around than serious. I mean, there's times when there's things that I need to get to or, you know, he's looking up something or, you know, whatever it may be. But I would, you know, for those that know Joe Buck, and I'm sure most don't, but, you know, he's a pretty loose guy that enjoys having a pretty good time. So it never gets too tense or too serious.
you know, within our booth, certainly when we're not on camera. Do you guys hang out outside of the booth as friends? Yeah, we do. And our wives are friends. He and I are friends. We're about the same age. Even though he looks much older than I am, he's actually a couple years younger than I am. But we do. We have a lot of the same interests. We enjoy golfing. We've been on a few trips together in the offseason. So it's made it fun for me in that I'm spending time on the weekends with someone that that I actually enjoy doing things with. We're talking to Hall of Famer Troy Aikman on the phone right now. Tough question for you. Norv Turner is our head coach here. Norv introduced you when you were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Right. Last year, the Chargers had a 14-2 season. Expectations are very high. Norv has taken an incredible amount of criticism, from myself even, where the official... Station of the Chargers here at Rock 105. And so, Troy, in your opinion, what is it? You guys are close friends. Why does he seem to struggle as a head coach? Well, you know, I mean, obviously, as you mentioned, I'm impressed in the question by the fact that Norv was my presenter at the Hall of Fame and what he meant to my career and what he's meant to a lot of other players' careers over the years.
over the last several years. And I think as far as a head coach, that would be hard for me to answer, first of all, because I don't know him as a head coach. I had him for three years while I was in Dallas as an offensive coordinator. I think you can go back and look at the years that he was at Washington and make an argument that they really weren't as bad as what I think a lot of people want to believe that they were. And then in Oakland, nobody's had much success there for all the reasons that we already know about. In San Diego, I said it coming into the season that this would be a job that I think that he would be able to be evaluated fairly as to how he is as a head coach. Now, I will also say, and I'm not trying to be a Norv Turner apologist by any means, but he's obviously a very special person to me. And I would say that even if Marty Schottenheimer came back, it's unlikely that this team was going to go 14-2. I mean, let's be realistic about that. that Sean Payton had left New Orleans and somebody else stepped in in that job, then if they did exactly what Sean Payton has done this year, then that season so far would be regarded as a huge failure, or that head coach would be. And one of the difficult things about today's game is being consistent year in and year out. That's why what New England has done is really remarkable. So, you know, I guess to answer your question, I think the jury's still out, to be honest with you. And, you know, we won't really know. Let's say this team makes the playoffs,
If they don't make the playoffs, no question, it will be regarded as a disappointing season. But if they make the playoffs and win a playoff game, will that then be regarded as a successful year relative to last season? I mean, I don't know. I think so. Is it Super Bowl or... I mean, I don't know the answer to that. And so that's the only thing that I think that that job... anything short of Marty Schottenheimer coming back and winning the Super Bowl, even if Marty came back and they went 15-1, if they didn't win a playoff game or go to the Super Bowl, it was going to be regarded as a failure. So I don't know where they're at right now. Nothing will be determined until January anyway. So I understand the frustrations there, but it's a team with high expectations, and that's what happens in cities like that. We're talking to Troy Aikman. And Troy Aikman, one of his causes is Troy suffered from migraine headaches when he was a player in the NFL. We're going to talk a little bit about that and specifically what you've got going on with that. I've got a couple more questions that I want to ask you about. You had the all-time great as your running back, Emmitt Smith. Uh-huh. How do you think he compares to our guy, LT? Oh, I think, you know, from what I...
shoot. It's almost like saying, well, who do you like, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady? That was my next question, by the way. And I always answer that one by I'll take whichever one you don't want. I'll take either one. But I think LT is clearly a terrific player and there's been some frustration on his part this year as well. I understand that. I think the greatness of Emmitt Smith isn't so much the numbers in and of that But in order to get to where he got, you have to be on the field. And he just didn't miss games because of injury. He was able to stay healthy. And you could say the same thing about LaDainian Tomlinson. Troy Aikman on the line. Have you heard the news about Sean Taylor this morning? I have not. Sean Taylor. This is Dateline Miami. Sources say Washington Redskins safety. Sean Taylor is in extremely critical condition after someone shot him at his home early this morning. Before Don Taylor, a former University of Miami football player, was shot in the leg, but the bullet struck the femoral artery and he has lost a lot of blood. During the time that you have been on television, Troy, have you ever had the opportunity to interview him and talk to him? You know, we have not. What tragic news. And I know he's been injured. You know, he didn't play in the game yesterday. He's been hurt. Or at least I don't believe he played yesterday. I know he missed the game that we had of theirs a couple of weeks ago.
But I've not had the opportunity to visit with him. We've not had him in production meetings. I know that early on there were things surrounding him, somewhat controversial as far as his time with the Redskins when Joe Gibbs took over. Over the last couple of years, I know in talking with Greg Williams extensively, the defensive coordinator and other players, they've had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Obviously, I'm not aware of... what took place, but I hope he's going to be okay. We're talking to Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman. Troy, tell us about your history with migraines and what exactly you have going on today. You know, I got diagnosed about a year and a half with migraines, and then in researching it a little bit on my own, I found out that I actually was suffering from migraines back when I was very young, about nine years old. My sister was a migraine sufferer. She got diagnosed when we were kids. I never went to the doctor. Went throughout my athletic career, and it wasn't until, like I said, about a year and a half ago, and due to flying so much with Fox, that seems to be one of the triggers for me.
that brings upon migraines. I finally went and saw my physician, and he diagnosed me with migraines. And it's just an excruciating headache. Is that right, Troy? Yeah, it varies for different people. For me, it's more nauseousness is what I experience, more so than these throbbing headaches that so many other people have. Cigar or cigarette smoke brings on the pounding headache for me. And so I got diagnosed with migraines. I was prescribed Imitrex, and I was approached about coming out and being a spokesman on behalf of migraines. And at first I was a little reluctant to do that because of my history with concussions. I didn't want there to be an association with that. And my doctor that I discussed it with and others have said that even if I had not been a professional football player, that I would have still suffered from these migraines as I did when I was a child. And so I thought, you know, I think that I could do a lot of good for a lot of men out there. And, you know, women are more inclined to go see their doctors and get diagnosed as migraine sufferers. Men, you know, like myself, are more reluctant to do that. And so I'm trying to encourage men out there that are hearing this that may, in fact, be suffering from migraines to go to headachequiz.com. It's a short quiz. Take the quiz. Take the results to their doctor. It will help them get properly diagnosed. And there's just no reason for...
For anyone, really, but men in particular that have not seen their doctors to be suffering from this. We do have to move to the next interview. Hello, ladies. Well, thank you very much. I guess we're moving on. Sorry, Troy. Troy Aikman. Troy, I thank you. I appreciate it. We'll see you. Are you guys talking right now on the phone? Yeah, we're actually just wrapping things up if you would let us do our job. Oh, wait. Is this Marky from Kiosk? No. Oh, no. I have here. What is it? Mikey. Okay, and the station is Kiosk? Yes. Kiosk! Okay, um, we have to go. Oh, no. Yeah, that's what we were doing, you know. Thanks. I mean, we're live on the air here. That's happened before, hasn't it? That is my biggest... And he's mad.
I keep it on time. I know what's going on. I gave Mike the wrap-up signal. We were good. Listen, this is where she could say it, in my opinion, is if he finishes his thought and I ask another question, then I can see I've been wrapped up. It's time to move on. But he's in the middle of a thought. He's answering a question. Like the reason why he came on. Right. You idiot. All right. Wow. When we come back, let's play the dumb chick challenge. Please let us. Yes. Please let us. Let's play the dumb chick challenge next. Take our anger out. The show continues. Thank you for being big enough to laugh at yourself this morning. We're just coming right back on the air. What is going on? Listeners and Sean, who's not here in the studio because Sean broadcasts out of San Francisco. We hook up with the satellite. During commercial right there when we were in the break, spoke to the woman that interrupted the show. Yeah. We were talking to Troy Aikman. We got to get the clip of when she interrupted Ashley. So what are you doing? Can you do that real quick? Okay, do that real quick. Eddie said that his heart is racing right now. Yeah, I'm shaking. And he said that it was the craziest back and forth that he's ever had in his professional career.
Yeah, because it went down in Ashley's studio, which so we couldn't hear. All we could see was Eddie's facial expressions. Well, when the phone started ringing and it was the inside line, Eddie goes, let me see if that's her. And so he left the room. And so we didn't know who it was. But when he went in there, I said to Sky, I can tell by the look on his face that that is the person that just interrupted. And Sky goes, yeah, he's got the crinkly forehead. It's not good. I didn't study what was going on, but I could tell that you were upset. Oh, yes. And so everything is going to have to wait. There's people holding right now that want to play the Dumb Chick Challenge. Whatever. It's going to take a minute before we get to that. I need to hear this story. Also, we want to give you details about the lead singer of Quiet Riot. Breaking news has died.
We're going to fill you in on the news on that. Dumb Chick Challenge coming up, that coming up. So many things going on on the show today. How close are we, Ashley? You got it? Yes, right in light yellow. Let's see. Okay, got it. So this is what happened moments ago when we were talking to Troy Aikman. For anyone, really, but men in particular that have not seen their doctors to be suffering from this. We do have to move to the next interview. Hello, lady. Hello, lady. Now, I got to tell you, I do not care for that. However, my executive producer, Eddie, despises it. Oh, yeah. As the host of the show, I don't like it at all, but it makes him as the producer of the show insane. So what happened? Well, you have to understand that a lot of radio interviews happen on a radio tour where these guys will go into a studio or they'll have a list of stations they call, and usually you'll get a 10-minute allotted time with each station.
And it's my job as a producer to kind of keep that in time because I don't want other stations to screw me over. So I'm not going to try and screw other stations over by running 15 minutes or whatever. I don't like to go over our allotted time. And I'll give Mikey the one-minute sign, the wrap-up sign. And I'm never late. That's one of my things. I make sure that we're on time. So the same situation was happening in this interview where we were scheduled. for 10 minutes well when she originally called they called three minutes late so i figured i'm still going to get my 10 minutes but it's going to go three minutes later than what we originally thought and no she had planned on us losing three minutes even though that they were late right so i went in there i picked up the phone i said this is eddie and she said her what her name was and she immediately came after me and was like First of all, I'd like to talk about how you guys went over your allotted time. And I interrupted her and I said, excuse me, but you guys were actually three minutes late when you called. And I wrapped up that interview right on time. And until you interrupted, we would have been right out on time. And she started arguing with me. No, I don't care if we were three minutes late. You only got that amount of time and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I said, well, because you guys were late, that doesn't mean I'm going to lose.
my time with the interview and and i'm sorry that's not that's not how it works and and she wasn't having that and then he put it way better like you put you put it way better he was like well actually you were the ones who were late not us and you guys were the ones uh who were three minutes late so you guys were the ones being unprofessional not us Yeah, because then she got upset that I said that she was unprofessional. And I said, well, it is unprofessional to interrupt an interview when we were clearly wrapping up, getting your message across on the air. And then she said, well, you know, I just... think that you guys are the unprofessional ones by going over your allotted time. And so, again, I said, you know, we didn't go over our allotted time. You guys were late. We took our 10 minutes, and that's the way it is. And so we went back and forth. And then she started saying how, you know, oh, are you guys going to edit that out of the interview? And I said, well, actually, if you would look at your notes, you would understand that that was a live interview. And I told her that. And you interrupted that live on the air.
And so then she... Well, and to edit it would edit out the message they're trying to get across because she... No, no, she was wondering if we're going to edit out the migraine stuff completely. Oh. Okay. And for those of you just tuning in, Troy Aikman, Hall of Famer, Troy Aikman was just on the air. His cause is migraine headaches. He's trying to draw people's attention to it, men in particular. He was in the middle of a thought. He was explaining... migraine headaches, and this happened. For anyone, really, but men in particular that have not seen their doctors to be suffering from this. We do have to move to the next interview. Hello, ladies. So I said, we were talking about your cause when you interrupted. So I go, that was bad timing on your part. And then she goes, oh, well, I noticed you got your little football questions out. And I said, I go, ma'am, we're talking to Troy Aikman. And she goes, I don't care. Oh! I go, so you don't care that you have Troy Aikman as your spokesperson and you expected us only to talk about migraine headaches. Oh my gosh. And she goes, well, I expected you to maybe ask one or two questions and be out of here a lot of time after you asked about the migraine headaches. I said, Jesus lady. We did. Gosh. We did that. And so we were arguing back and forth and then she ended up calling me an a-hole and I ended up calling her the B word. It was so awesome to be a flyer.
the wall listening to eddie because he was very taped it oh god i should have because he um he was very professional about it yeah i wasn't a jerk he was very professional about it like he handled her it was genius Wow. For me to witness that, I feel so honored. Oh, dude, I wish we could have taped it. I feel so honored to have witnessed Eddie handle that. Wow. Oh, my God. It was so rad. Well, I mean, to say, first of all, you know, that we weren't allowed to ask our little football questions to a Hall of Fame quarterback. To a little football player? Yeah, like, it's so insulting. I don't even get why she called back. She was just calling back. She thought it was a taped interview and that we would edit out the migraine stuff. So she wanted to make sure that we would not edit that stuff out. And I said, lady, it was a live interview. You interrupted us live on the air. I told her it was live. For anyone, really, but men in particular that have not seen their doctors to be suffering from this. We do have to move to the next interview. Crazy. That's crazy!
Oh, my gosh. We're not on the air, are we? I told you this was live. And, you know, this stuff was going on. While the interview was happening, she was calling Ashley's inside line, yelling at her. What? Which I didn't even know about, really. What was she yelling at you about? Well, she had told me originally when we have to get off the air with Troy. And I said, okay, no problem. I'll let my producer know. And then we're like... literally two minutes into the interview and she calls me and she's like okay so remember you need to get off at this time and i go i know ma'am you told me and i told my producer from the get-go and she goes okay will you tell them again will you walk into the studio and tell him again like screaming at me screaming at me and i go yeah well ma'am i can't interrupt the interview because we're live on the air but i can i will let my producer know again okay thank you and like screaming at me She had no idea that she would become a permanent drop on the Mikey show for Pardon the Interruption. For anyone, really, but men in particular that have not seen their doctors to be suffering from this. We do have to move to the next interview. We do have to move to the next interview. He's talking about your theme. Right? He's in the middle of a sentence, lady. That was insane, man. People are crazy. That was insane. Okay, so I told you, the lead singer of the band Quiet Riot,
is dead in Las Vegas. His home in Las Vegas. That's where he was found, right, Sky? Yeah. Early yesterday morning, he was found at his home in Las Vegas, 52 years old. They're not giving any cause of death, and band members are asking people, please do not even speculate to what the cause of death could be, and that there should be more details available to the public in 24 to 48 hours. I'm sure we'll all find out. Yeah. We're going to do the Dumb Chick Challenge here in just a moment. But, uh, it's a tradition here on the Mikey Show. Oh, yeah. To play Oh, Holy Night. To play this every holiday season. It should be noted that the singer is not a professional. He's an amateur singer. Really? It's beautiful. Nonetheless. Till he appears. And the soul felt beyond. Unbelievable. Just because you're not born with a professional singing voice doesn't mean that you can't sing. I'm saying, thank you, Mikey. Isn't that what it means? I mean, what I'm saying is that you should feel free to sing. I mean, it's not like a rule. Like, hey, you're not allowed to sing. But shouldn't you not subject other people? I think that's a harsh way to look at it. I mean, obviously, that man...
It's what all the greats will tell you, you know, you really have to feel it when you're singing it, and you can tell he feels it, you know, he's got that emotion. You hear the passion. You hear the passion. He definitely has a passion for it. Let's do this. Oh, wow. In what may prove to be a fair exercise in the substantiation of mental acumen, The Mikey Show presents a somewhat elastic moiety called The Dumb Chick Challenge. I'm ready. History Channel and The Discovery Channel all weekend long. And I'm ready. I think you're ready then. All weekend long. I was learning about UFOs and worst jobs ever and all sorts of intelligent stuff. I'm ready. What city in New Mexico, Ashley, had a major UFO story in the 1940s? It was called the Majestic 12. That was Roswell, New Mexico. That's where it happens. It wasn't Majestic 12. Thank you.
New from Marvel Comics. No, and the military people, and they found remains of what seemed to be UFOs. Did you guys hear about this? Crazy. It is. Majestic 12, MJ-12 is what they called it. Well, let's do this then, Ash. Let's play the Dumb Chick Challenge. Yes, learning. I love it. You know, on that note. Let's get smart. Basically, the way the Dumb Chick Challenge works is that we have Ashley and Skye and a listener on the phone. A woman. A female P1. Call in and represent themselves. And we ask the ladies. We ask them questions that have a point value. One through three. Ones are easy. Threes are hard. First person to five points wins. We started playing this game months and months ago. And it was the first person to seven points wins. And we realized in short order. I think the first time we played. The first time we played. Yeah, pretty much the first time.
That we could not go to seven points because the game simply took too long to play the game. It's very difficult to get to the five points that we get to now. And so with that being said, let's now let listeners pick which person they feel will do the best. As I say that, I look into the studio across from me. I wish that this radio show were on television. And Ashley is doing this hysterical thing with a styrofoam cup. Drinking out of the styrofoam cup. And it looked like it was all made to go together. Me saying, let's now play the dumb chick challenge along with this girl trying to drink from a styrofoam cup. And it was like it was really giving her a challenge just drinking from the cup. Just getting the last drop. Oh, the visual was fantastic. Oh, you are. P1 Rude Dog.
Hey, how's it going, man? Good. Who would you like to represent you in the Dumb Chick Challenge? I will take Sky. There you go. Sky, you are playing for Rude Dog. Hang on the line. Next up is P1 Cameron, and Cameron, you get Ashley. Oh, wonderful. You got it. Hang on a minute. Finally, Kristen, you are playing for yourself. Yes. Don't have a clue who started first last time. Eddie, you'll begin this time. Oh, okay. I'm ready. I'll take a three-pointer. Eight-pointer. We started with Ashley last time. All right, Kristen, that means you're up. Okay. I will take a two-point question. You got it. Meaning 40 in Latin, what word is defined as, quote, being isolated because of diseases? Isolated. Wait, repeat it, please. Meaning 40 in Latin. What word is defined as, quote, being isolated because of diseases, unquote? Quarantine? You are correct. Very good job. Skye, I can tell you knew that one. No, I didn't. Yeah, I've seen outbreak. I see. Skye, would you like a one, two, or three point question? I'll take a two, please. You got it. That's why.
Skye, what is the more technical name for caviar? Or what? Wow. Really? Well, I want to fully understand the question. I want to fully. Your question is. What about tentacles? I know. Huh? I know. Octopus. I messed it up. Well said. Skye, what is the more tentacle name? No. Wait. Skye, what's the more technical name for caviar or fish eggs? Skye looks like she's trying to whistle. Oh. Well, I thought Caviar was the fancy name for it. He didn't say fancy. But I'm thinking... Tentacle. I don't even know what this word is, but for some reason, popping in my mind is the word row. Are correct. Oh! Are correct. Sky is on the board. It's a tie between Kristen and Sky. They both have two points. Ashley, what are you going to do?
You're looking at your first base coach, Eddie. He's giving her signs. It's a very confident look on both of their faces. That's good. You may repeat that. She said, I might be a gay guy. No, I said give me a three. Oh, you said give me a three. All right, here's your three-point question. Ashley. For the lead. Ashley, what Native Americans were involved in the battle at Wounded Knee? Was that on the History Channel this weekend? It might have been. I think it might have been. Were they alien? Ashley looks a little confused. Say that again. One more time. The question is... I like your hair today. Don't throw her off. Wait a minute. Don't throw her off. Wait a minute. Sky laughed when I said it. Why did she laugh? Rob made some sort of gesture when I said it. I like it, and instantly everyone laughed. Now, what is that about? Thank you. I think that was a nice compliment. So funny, Rob. Nothing at all. Ha!
Continue on. Oh, no. Rob just said that, by the way, without looking up. He just was writing. As he said that, he just was writing. And what is he writing? I don't know. He's like Brian Gumbel. Yeah, right. What notes is he taking over there? Eddie, what? What's happened? I don't even... Ashley's face is scary. Well, everything was fine. Everything was fine. Until I said, Rob, what's so funny? And he said, I'm not saying anything. She was kind of having a good time until it became about Rob finding it funny. And now, if I describe her face, it's just blank. It's just completely blank. It's like she's playing poker. It's like she's playing poker, only she wants to murder the people she's playing poker with. Poker in the wild, wild west. Yes. Is that her tell? That is her tell. She's cleaning her gun. So, Ashley, your question. No, no, no. She's calling out the six. Fine, I will drop it. Thank you. Dodged a bullet. I wanted to hear it. It's just funny that he hasn't talked the whole morning. He's not even participating in the dumb chick challenge game. What did you do, Mike?
The one compliment Mikey gives me, and Rob laughs in the background. I was caught off guard by it. What a jerk. No, Eddie, don't do that. You know better than that. I'm on her side. You're egging her on. Anyway, Ashley, your question was, what Native Americans were involved in the battle at Wounded Knee? I don't know, and I don't care. You got her out of the... She was in the mode. I blame mine. You blame... I love Mike. What'd you do? Oh, no. The Cleveland Indians. I'm the one that gave the compliment. No, I love... Thank you for that. You're very welcome. Sue Indians, by the way, is the answer. Sue Indians. Okay, cool. S-U-E. Oh, no, that's not enough. P1 Kristen? I apologize for all this. That's okay. Would you like a one, two, or three-point question? I'll take another two. You got it. Oh, Kristen. Put the pressure on. Pretty smart. Put it on the... Your question is... What state elected former wrestler Jesse the Body Ventura as governor? Oh, gosh. Do I get a hint? You do not get a hint. Okay. Okay. What state...
It's in the continental United States. That is correct. That should be a question, by the way. What does it mean, the continental United States? I don't know. I'm just going to guess Virginia. I have no idea. That is incorrect. Kristen, Jesse the Body Ventura was the governor of Minnesota. Oh. There you go. Yeah. Skye, what is Skye's game plan? Will she wrap it up with a three-pointer? She's got two points. She's got to get to five. Will she wrap it up with a two-pointer? I mean, excuse me, a three-pointer, or will she play it safe and go with something less? She's really thinking about it. You can tell she has her hand up to her chin. Go one. Go three. See, when we started the game, my plan was going to be two-two-one. But Kristen here is quite a competitor, even though she got that last one wrong. Don't do it, Sky. Come on. Sky. One thing wasn't that hard, Sky, I swear. You think I should just try and wrap it up right now, Mike? No! So you think I should do the 2-2-1 strategy? I believe that that would probably... Do what you want. Do what your heart tells you to do. But I'm asking you, Mike. I think that... Because I've gotten three-pointers before. I think it's a lofty goal. Very rare. I think it's a lofty goal. It's like Haley's Comet. And it's not. I'd say...
30% of the time. 30% of the time, I get the three-pointers. Inaccurate. All right, I'll do my 2-2-1. Give me a two, Mike. You got it, Skye. Skye, what was the name of the concert where the Rolling Stones hired the Hell's Angels to act as security and ended up killing a concert-goer? What's the name of the concert? Mm-hmm. Oh, Skye just raspberry-ed. Should have gone for the three-pointers. Very famous. Shush. I was in the Angels. Only the last couple of years. Not in the 60s. Woodstock. Right? That was going to be her guess. No. Burning Man. And it's not the Monterey Pompers. Oh, I know that. Ashley's still seething. Just for the record. What? We have no chance now. Now, do you think that there may be issues between Ashley and Rob if she's seething because I said I like her hair?
And he had the audacity to laugh. It wasn't even like a laugh. That's what has her this upset, by the way. Yeah, but then I looked over at you and you're like, I'm not saying anything. I was busy taking notes on the show. With that evil smile on your face. So don't BS me right now that you weren't going to say. I didn't say anything. That you didn't laugh. You were in love. Well, let me play you the clip from last week. I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be together for two years. I don't know about that. I thought they were. It doesn't sound like anybody you would want to be any kind of thing with. Not if one of you hates the other one. If one of you hates the other one. I don't hate him. You hate him.
I don't. You despise him? No, I don't despise him, but it's him that doesn't like me. It's not my... Rob's got the face. I'm being nice today. Why would you say that, Ashley? It's the worst face. Rob gets the big grin on his face. And he looks in here with a squint like, what is that, Mike? Come on. It's just... Go ahead, Ashley, and then we've got to get back to the dumb chick challenge. Well, he had his birthday this weekend. I didn't get invited to any of his birthday celebrations. Are you kidding me? His mom was in town. Wait, this is a whole other break. This is a whole other break. It's a whole other break. What happened? Wait a minute, Ash. This morning when I called a meeting before the show and I said, what's going on with everybody? We check in before the show. So we have stuff to talk about. You know, is there anything interesting? She didn't say a word about that. I almost did. Now Rob is sour faced for the record. No, because I texted her this weekend and she was doing her sex in the city dinner ladies night thing. Wait, wait, stop. Please, please stop. We'll get back to it. Where were we? Where were we? She's shaking now. She's shaking now. Where were we? No, she just turned her mic off. She's going to cry. Wait a minute. Ashley, are you telling?
She just put her head back, opened her mouth, and shook her head. Skye was guessing the Rolling Stones concert. Exile on Main Street. Is that your answer, Skye? Well, let's keep playing because it's not distracting. What was the answer, Mike? The answer was... The name of the concert was Altamont. It's very famous. It's a concert that was a very famous concert. And next up is Ashley. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, wow. Ashley just gave me a look like, really, I'm supposed to do this now.
Ashley's now looking at Eddie. What am I supposed to do? Eddie's giving her a sign back. She's getting her head back in the game. You got this, girl. She's going to put the personal issues off to later. She's a true competitor. She's a professional. Ashley, what do you want? I will take a one. Oh, no. Don't say it like that. She's fine. She's fine, guys. I will take a one. Just get the question out. Get the question out. No one draw attention to that. Just get the question out. Where's my... Hey, Mike. Please, Mike. Fine. I will take a one, please. Ashley, what is typically added to bread dough to cause it to rise? Yeast. That is correct, Ashley. That is correct, Ashley. It's on the board. We'll show them, Ash. Put them on the board. Kristen, get a three so we can move on first. Kristen, yeah, answer this question. I want to dive in. So please, what do you want, a one, two, or three-pointer? I'll take a two. You got it. Your two-point question is? What is two plus two? It's a toughie. Is that for real? Yes, it is. I just told you. You should have gone for the three, girl. That's my real question? Yes. What is it? I think we should make that a three. That's a hard one. That's a three-point question. That's a toughie. What is two plus two? Four. You are correct. We have a winner, winner, chicken dinner. And we will give everybody a prize because I did that. Yay!
So everybody will get something. So P1 Rude Dog, hang on the line. You'll win something. Kristen, you win something. And Cameron, you win something as well. Don't go away. Go ahead and send out a text blast. Zeth, let everybody know that they don't want to miss what's coming up next. It's going to get ugly. And we'll be back. Look out. Eddie's being an efficient producer. Sorry. Well, we were going to draw names for our show Secret Santa. The way that we're going to do Christmas this year is that we're going to draw names. And whoever's name we draw on the show, that's who we get the present for. But Eddie said, no, we got to give back to this stuff. Yeah, this is crazy. Well, before we went to break, we were talking about how... What do you mean? Talking about how Ashley was upset at Rob. She was upset at him because they are supposed to be good friends. And she did not get an invite to what, Ashley? His birthday. Like his birthday celebrations that he had. He didn't get invited to any of them? He had a birthday barbecue and then him and his friends went out. Like they went out to Jolton Joe's, I believe it was, in downtown and played some pool. It was like a whole birthday night and I did not get invited to any of it. Why did you not get invited? That's crazy. Why did you not invite her? Right?
I don't know. I'm a bad person. Oh, come on. Don't play that. Don't play that. Here we go. Come on. All right, this is how it went down. I originally was going to plan a dinner, and way early in the week, when I was trying to get things together and figure out if I could even do a dinner, it got canceled for Saturday. Because my mom was going to be in town, which she was going to be invited. But the more I talked to my brothers and stuff, I realized no one had money, not going to be able to afford to do a dinner with a bunch of people. So I originally just planned to pretty much just hang out at my house and do nothing. My mom went out food shopping on Saturday and ended up saying, hey, I'm going to cook tonight for you. That's what I want to do for you. And I was like, all right, you do that. Your mom. Yeah, my mom. I said, I'll let you do that. That's fine. So this was, I don't know, probably around noon on Saturday that she got back and told me that she was going to do all this. After that, that's when I started making phone calls and saying, hey, if you want to come down, we're going to do a dinner here. I don't know exactly what time I texted you. I do. What time, Ash? What time did I text you? It was actually a response text because I texted you happy birthday and you wrote back, thank you, what are you doing tonight? And that was at 5.03 p.m. And I'd already seen your mom. That's how I found out about the barbecue because she invited me when she came over to my house to say hi because she's in town. And she comes over and that was probably around 4.30. Wait, wait, wait, stop. This is already, I'm confused?
i'm shocked because my mom's the one that planned out like i originally told her i didn't no no no that's not what just blew me away that your mom like went over to ashley's place and visited her yeah because i wanted to see her because she was in town because i like am close with his mom close with his whole family and so she was in town You're like good friends. You didn't know that? I hadn't heard anything or whatever. And so I finally got in touch and I was like, you know, I wanted Adeline to come by and see me. So Al brought Adeline over because they were headed to like go to the beach. Anyways, so Al and his cousin Mikey, who was in town, and Adeline came over. And Adeline invited me to the barbecue, and Mikey invited me to go out to Jolton Joe's. Adeline is Rob's mother, and who is Mikey? Mikey is Rob's cousin, who is in town from Boston. And they both, like, invite me to Rob's birthday. And it's like 5 p.m., and I'm like, I need the invite from Rob. Like, he's supposed to be my best friend.
This is crazy that I haven't even gotten the invite from my best friend of three years. I feel like I don't even know him anymore, and it's really depressing. So when I sent you the text, why did you text me back that I'm going out to dinner with my girls? I wrote back. I said, well, first of all, of course I already have plans. You texted me. What am I doing tonight at 5.03 p.m.? And the only reason why you texted me was to thank me for saying happy birthday. I do not think you would have texted me with an invite had I not texted you happy birthday. First of all. Secondly, I wrote back. Rob just turned his head to me. Well, because anything I say back to this is like, she's not going to hear it and she's going to. That's so not true, Rob. I think she deserves an answer. And at the time that I was texting her and calling everyone back and getting to people and making these invites, that was the time. I went to the gym. When I got up, I went to the gym and then I ran errands until when I texted you, I thought it was... But Rob, you just said like two seconds ago that you started making the calls around noon. Do you want me to call my mom and... No, no, no. I thought I texted you at noon because I had done so much that day. Like, I can get my mom on the phone and let her know. I plan to do nothing for my birthday. Like, that was my original plan. Oh, no, no, no. I gotcha. I just... I guess as one of your really good friends, she's going, well, you know, I'm a little... My feelings are hurt that...
I didn't get a call and I got invited by your mom and your cousin is who invited me. And boy, I sure wish that would have come from you. It made me feel like you didn't want me there. And I did text her and I didn't even know that they had invited her. I think she's trying to make me feel like, oh, well, I knew that. You texted me, thank you, hippie, which is what he calls me now. It's like his new nickname for me. Thank you, hippie. What are you doing tonight? And I wrote back. Going to dinner with the girls, then not sure. Because I was, like, kind of leaving it open there. Like, well, maybe he'll invite me. Like, oh, well, when you're done with dinner. She was going to dinner. Nothing. No response. Didn't even hear back after that. Maybe, and I don't want to speak for my boy Rob, maybe there was some uncomfortableness about what happened on Wednesday. You mean when Ashley said this? I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be together for two years. And I'm not saying uncomfortable it's between them with his girlfriend. Did you talk about it, Rob? Oh, with my girl now. Leaving that alone. She didn't bring it up? No. If she brings it up, we can talk about it. But other than that, you know what I mean? Like, what am I going to do? Be like, hey, did you hear what Ashley said?
Well, and Ash, I'm sure that you can relate to how that might be a little uncomfortable, right? Sure, but I mean, he just said he didn't even talk to her about it, so that's not the reason. That's true. Boy, I guess we're in a little bit of a quandary. It's a bit of a pickle. And when was the Jolton Joe's? Was that after your barbecue? On Saturday, Rob? Yeah. Jolton Joe's? Yeah, they went out after the barbecue. That's why Ashley was saying she was leaving it like... I missed it. Yeah, Ashley was... Went over my head. Ashley was leaving it open-ended saying, I do have dinner plans, but I don't know after then. So they had a barbecue, then they went to Jolton Joe's. And there was also no invite to Jolton Joe's. No, he did. Why do you hate Ashley? Yeah, that's a good question.
That's what it's making me look like right now, dude. Listen, I'm not making any of that. I'm just asking questions. I honestly wasn't going to invite her to go out drinking with me. Out of curiosity. Okay, that makes sense. That makes sense. That was a part of it for me. Totally makes sense. Ashley is... I had no problem with her coming to my... Ashley's in recovery. She doesn't drink anymore. With my dinner. So I get it. Ash, do you get that one or no? Uh-oh. No, she doesn't get that one. I personally do not believe that that is the reason. What do you think it's about? He knows that I go out. It doesn't affect me. I don't care. I'll go out. I'll go dancing. I'll go out. I'll go play pool. I still have a social life. I'm 24 years old. I'm not going to stay in. If I see a beer, I have to drink it. No, I understand. I don't have that. I understand. I could have absolutely gone... It is so crappy that this is on the air because Rob and I haven't even really talked about it. I've asked him several times. Here comes the waterworks. It's all good. Not kidding. Here they come. You've asked him several times what? He doesn't even care. It doesn't even matter. It doesn't matter. I do care. I care so much. But you have an opinion. You don't believe him when he says what he said. So you obviously have an opinion. Why do you think he didn't invite you? I don't know what happened. I don't know what changed in our friendship.
I don't even, like, know him anymore. And I've tried several times to, like, hang out with him and be like, can we talk? Like, and it never happens. And, like, honestly, I feel like I lost, like, my best friend. And it, like, totally sucks. It totally sucks. Like, I feel like I don't even know him anymore. Like, on his birthday, like, for me to not even get invited is so, so sad. Because that boy and I have been through so much together. And he and I, like, he used to be my rock. And now it's like, I don't even know what to do without him kind of thing. It's like really crappy, Dan. It's so crappy. No, Rob, how do you respond to that? I bet your response is different than Eddie's, but that's just a... I can't help it. For those of you that are new to the show, when people cry, sometimes it strikes Eddie as funny. It's how some of us deal with it. It's a natural reaction. It's an unnatural reaction. No, it is. I see exactly where she's coming from. Sure. It just has been me that's been blowing you off. Like, when I've tried to hang out with you, there's been a couple times where you've kind of just ditched me and gone off with your friends or whatever. And I'm saying, they were definitely... That's making her mad. I can tell that made her mad. Sounds like somebody's playing the blame game. It's just hard because sometimes when we will meet up and, like, be hanging out, like, Sarissa is there and he and her... Sarissa is Rob's girlfriend. And she's the best. Like, I can't even...
i could go off about how great she is that's a strange choice of words she's off what just strange i do too but it was just you could go on and on about that would be a better yeah yeah you know because it was almost like yeah i could go off about her oh no i mean i can go off about how much like i could go off listing like she's really really awesome and so you know but when he's with her And I'm hanging out with the two of them. It's almost pointless because he's so into her. I don't even really talk to him. Wait, wait, wait. Hang on. Hang on. So I will then leave. Hang on. Hang on. Now this is something that you never hear a guy say about his guy friend. Seth will say it. Well, but we all question his sexuality. Kidding, I'm kidding. I'm joking, I'm joking. Anyone will say it. That's not, it's not just me thinking. Eddie, am I wrong on this? That usually somebody doesn't say, it's like I'm not getting enough attention. Not that I'm not getting enough attention. Well, that's what it is. It's like I'm not even there. No, it's not even that at all. It's kind of like they're in the honeymoon phase. So when a couple's in the honeymoon phase, it's kind of like you're the third. You don't really get quality time with them.
You know, at all. If I hang out with them together, I'll talk to Sarissa more than I talk to Rob. I don't even really talk to Rob. We don't really have quality time like we used to have all the time, every weekend, all the time. We do not have that ever anymore. What is that look on his face? He's just got this giant grin on his face. She gets more time talking to Sarissa because she's like over and like... Oh, hey, you're so beautiful. And it's so good to say, like, she goes out of her way to go and compliment my girl. Are you trying to say that she's overboard about it? Yeah. Oh, yeah, because I'm not like that with everybody. I'm just calling it how I see it. So you think it's fake? Did I say that? You're complaining that you don't get to talk to me or hang out with me as much. Well, no, I was just referencing you saying that. Let me ask some questions. Yeah, yeah, shoot. Go ahead. Let me ask some questions. Let me dig a little bit. Yeah, go ahead. Go for it. You have other friends that are girls, right? I mean, Ashley's not the only friend that you have that's a girl, right? Is that correct? Yeah, that's correct. When the other friends of yours that are girls are around you and your girlfriend, Sarissa, do they gush to Sarissa the way that Ashley does? No. No. No. So you're saying that when Ashley talks to her, it's almost like she goes this real overboard thing where she's very, like...
She overdoes it a little. Yeah, but hold on. Let me preface this because now I'm getting myself in trouble by being honest. Like, it's... Well, I don't want you to lie. I'm asking you a question. I want you to be honest. I can't say that it's 100% of the time, but I'll say it's about 80%. That she does it. Now, here's the thing. Sarissa is a very smart girl. And so, Skye, let me ask you a woman's perspective. Yeah? If a woman does that... Does it tell you anything as an intelligent, smart woman that reads body language? Well, it's tough because I want to preface my answer by saying I know Ashley. And Ashley does that, especially when she is like new to knowing a person. She always is complimenting them, you know. But if we're talking about just some random Jane girl who's tight with my man and is doing that, I feel they're kind of. Maybe overcompensating a little bit. Especially if you already are taking into consideration that they're very close. Right. It doesn't matter what age you are. It doesn't matter who you are. That's a little threatening. It's a little bit threatening when the guy that you're in love with happened to be very close, good friends, to the point where they called each other best friends. And the girl that we're talking about is attractive.
Ashley's attractive. It's not like Rob says, oh, yeah, this is my 400-pound best friend. And the 400-pound best friend is like, you're so beautiful, blah, blah, blah. It isn't like that. It's this is my best friend, and she's young and cute and blah, blah, blah. I mean, I think in anybody's relationship, especially a new one, You're going to be like, yeah, you know, I don't know that I feel comfortable about it. Now, to her credit, she's never said a word. She's never said a word to Rob about it, ever. If it were me, I would lay down the law. I don't know that, I'll tell you what I would do. I would definitely let my new love interest, if I started dating a girl, if I were single, if I started dating a girl, and she had this buddy,
who was attractive. And before I came along, they referred to each other as best friends. And this guy meets me and is like, dude, you're great. It would be intimidating for me. I would sense something that I was uncomfortable with. And I would say to her, the new girl, I would say, so what's the story with this guy? Friend. That's you best friends with. Tell me, what's the story? Oh, well, friends. We're just really friends. Any romance there? No. Never. And there wasn't. There never was a romance between Rob and Ashley. But I'd say, okay, did you ever have any feelings for him? No. Okay, did he ever have any feelings for you? No.
Okay, I'm just checking. And the reason I'm checking is because, you know, us guys, we get these vibes. And I get a different kind of vibe here that I'm not so sure about. And then you get the, you know, reinforcement or whatever. But I could understand how it would be a little intimidating. I mean, we're not talking about a 400-pound, you know, girl here. We're talking about young, cute Ashley. And Ashley, you've got to understand that, right? Yeah. You see where that's coming from. And Rob, you probably do too. Listen, if I'm being 100% honest, if I were Rob, I'd be doing the same thing. I would just tell her, though. I would say, listen, Ash, I can't really be hanging out with you the way that I used to because I got a girlfriend now and I don't want her to get her feelings hurt. I don't want her to be... I want to be really respectful of her. You don't want her to read too much into our relationship? Yeah.
Perfect. Well, that's exactly how I've kind of handled it. But you haven't communicated that to her. Except I haven't exactly said that to her. But my whole thing is like, I still want to hang out with her once in a while, but she realizes, and the way I express my love for Sarissa to her is like, dude, this is a girl I'm, you know what I mean? Like, now I'm sharing my life with her like I'm always with her. Like, this is a big part of me. Now, Ashley's story is not different than many. In fact, I would say it doesn't matter if you're 50 years old and you're listening right now. We've been through these relationships that Rob and Ashley are involved in right now. And if we're all being honest, at one time, we've been Rob. At one time, we've been Ashley. At one time, we've experienced both ends. And if we're being honest, if we're on the Ashley side of it, anything less than what it used to be isn't good. Right, Ash? I mean, is that fair to say? Hey, listen, I don't want our diet, our relationship, our relationship light. I want all the caffeine and everything that it used to be. I mean, that's a natural feeling. I mean, is that accurate, Ash?
Yeah. So what you have to do is somehow find a place. Either one of you got to give. Either one of you has to be willing to say, okay, it's going to be exactly the way that it used to be. Or one of you is going to have to say, I'm okay with the new way that it is. Well, I think that obviously Rob needs to be better at communicating these things. Absolutely. And Ashley has to be a little bit more understanding that their relationship has to change. And that's just the way it is. Well, and it has changed. I mean, this is how it's been for, I'd say, a solid three or four months. And that's fine. It's just been a transitional phase for me because, like I said, to be having someone who literally is your best friend. Best friend. But hold on. And now nothing. Nothing. So now we're not best friends. I went from telling him everything to nothing. I went from everything that's going on in my life and being there for me to not even being invited to his birthday. I mean, it's like night and day transition. Sounds pretty one-sided. But I have. I've absolutely accepted that this is how it kind of is now. And I'm very...
very happy for him and Sarissa. I just want him to be happy, so this is how it has to be. Our phone lines are blowing up, by the way. Then I support him 100%. It just, like, it hurts and it sucks. She treats it like I lost a friend. Why does she treat it like she lost a friend? I don't consider this relationship dead. When do we talk? We're not friends anymore. When do you ever ask me how I'm doing? Time out. I gotta call. Hang on. I'm sorry. I gotta call a spade a spade. Rob's full of it. He's full of it right now. How am I full of it? You're not being honest. You're sitting there pretending like you don't know why she's acting this way. You don't know why she's saying this. Dude, you could have been communicating with her this whole time. And I'm not denying that. So I've been bad at that, but I'm not saying that we're not friends anymore. That's ridiculous. I got best friends back at home that I don't talk to in a long time. I wouldn't say I'm not friends with them anymore. Can I say this? What does she say? Let me tell you something. If this were reversed, You would be. Dude, when she's dated guys, she, like, I'm not being mean here, but she completely changes. Is that true, Ash? She did the last boyfriend. When I was dating Nick, I sat you down and said, hey, Rob, we have to, like, stop having the same friendship we used to have. I remember that. Because Nick is uncomfortable with the way you and I are. And not only did I talk to you about it, but you still did not.
respect his wishes and you still were treating me like we normally are friends. And that was when you were still with Sarissa, by the way, at the beginning of the relationship. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. Hang on, time out. She's right. Am I right? Yeah. She did tell him, I remember she said to him, No, she did. Hang on. My boyfriend's uncomfortable with the way that we interact. Right. And he had every right to be as a boyfriend uncomfortable with the way that they interacted. But she, I gotta give her credit. She was upfront about it. She was very open about it. She was honest. And she's also right. Rob went, oh, really? Whatever. And he kept going, man. Rob, it's true. Right in front of him, he would put his arm around me. Brazenly. And then it made me and Nick fight even more. I mean, you don't even know, bro, the fireworks that caused. So now the situation's reversed. You haven't said a word to her.
I don't put myself in any of those situations either. What does that mean? Like, we don't hang out all the time. I'm not like, you know what I mean? I'm not going out of my way to go and hang out. So there it is. But Sky, he knows that hurts her. He knows it hurts her, but he just stated, I'm not putting myself in those situations. Like, I don't put myself in that. I'm not inviting you around. And I think, Rob, the deal is, is like nobody has a problem with that. Nobody's faulting you for that because they get that that's what you need to do to have a healthy relationship. But I think it would have been cool if you would have communicated that with Ashley and just physically, you know, spoke it, you know, just said it out loud. 570-570-1053. What, Rob? When we come back, I want to take your phone calls. Go ahead. I'll get into it when we come back. All right. You guys get a lot of calls every morning that people pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean stuff. Every one of you are great. Thank you. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock.

There's an accident clearing here right above before Rancho Bernardo Road, and that is caught up with traffic coming out of Escondido. Pretty much, you're backed up from the 78 and now all the way down to the accident. You're being advised to avoid that as a traffic alert is now an issue for that stretch of freeway. This is the big hit on the radio right now from Carrie Underwood, American Idol alumni.
former jealous girlfriend of every guy that she's dated. Shania Twain started this, right? Like, she started the whole thing. Like, Blink-182 started all those... So Shania Twain started singing like this, and then every female country singer was like, oh, we get it now. Millions of dollars. That formula works. Oh, yeah, that's how you do it. Sometimes She's real pretty, Carrie Underwood. Gorgeous. It is 9.39. Flea, the bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, lost his home in the Malibu Fires over the weekend. In case you hadn't heard, Redskins All-Pro Safety Sean Taylor was shot in his Miami home and is in critical condition. We came back from break. Ashley said we should dedicate it to Rob because it's called So Small. And I said, oh, she's a nonsense. I said, oh, Ashley, that's funny. A mini-mini.
People are calling in to comment about Ashley and Rob. Here on the show, they work together, and they seem to be best friends. Former best friends. Former best friends. Rob says, no, we're still like best friends. We just don't talk as much. How often do you and Rob get to hang out, Ashley? Never. Like, ever. Like, I can count on one hand in the past five months. It's probably been like three times. What about when you were dating Nick? Did you hang out with him? You didn't, but you were up front about it. Yeah, I did not. You did not, but you were up front about it. Yeah, well, I mean, I told him that. We had to have, like, two conversations about it. What? What are you laughing at? She was just telling us how when she was dating Nick, she had to have two conversations with you. But, listen, you guys have significant others. You don't hang out with each other as much. Just, you know, she communicated it to you, or whatever I just said.
Well said. You don't have the same communication skills. You're not as good at communicating. They say that about men and women, you know? Men and women are kind of different in that way. I heard men are from Mars. That's right. And women are from Venus. That's right. P1 Piglet is on the line. Are you there, Piglet? Yeah. What did you want to say? You know, I think you guys are kind of just... beating around the bush a little bit with Ashley. The reason she's so nice to his girlfriend is to try and kind of mask and make it not apparent that she's jealous of their relationship. I don't think she's masking it. I think that Rob just can't say it to her because he's afraid she'll give up on him and he still really cares about her and they just need to bite the bullet and admit that they have feelings for each other. Alright, I'll just be real honest about exactly what's going on. I don't think she's masking it. And I don't think that Rob wants to have that conversation with her because he knows that she would like to spend time with him and that feels good. It feels good when somebody, and if he had that conversation with her, she might stop altogether. In fact, she would. If he had that conversation with her, she would stop wanting to have the relationship with him. She would understand and she wouldn't try anymore. And he doesn't want that.
He likes the feeling of her wanting their relationship. And that's what I'm saying. I kind of had to give her credit because I know how she is. She likes attention. Yet when Rob was giving her all that attention when she was dating Nick, to her credit, she forewent. Is that how you say it? I don't know. You forego? Well said. She would forego all of the attention that she was getting. To be respectful of her boyfriend. And she was getting it from another source. She was okay with it. But now that she's single and he has a girlfriend, it's tough for her to accept that that attention is gone. It's tough for him to not have, there's no other way to say it, the pining. Is it? Because I don't know that it is tough for Rob. I think he's kind of okay with it. He wouldn't be okay with knowing that she... Has moved on. But, hold on, hold on. It's not... Like, this mostly comes up on the air. You know what I mean? Oh, dude. Hold on, hold on. Every day that goes by that you guys don't talk is a knowledge in your mind. It's... See, you make it out to be that, dude. I really don't think of it as that...
Like that at all. Like, I honestly don't, dude. I'm not lying to you. Do you think that's true, Ashley? Like, I'm not sitting there going, oh, yeah, another one in the books, dude. Like, you kind of make it out to me. I don't think you are either. I don't think it's a conscious thing. My whole thing is like, dude, I got other chick friends that I'm not going to sit down and talk and be like, listen, if I don't pick up the photo... What other chick friends do you have that live here that you would really consider a good friend? Dude, when I hung out this weekend, when I saw you out and Carly... Dude, Carly reamed me out because I don't hang out with her. I don't call her anymore. I was best friends with her boyfriend and that's how... So you and Carly were as close as Ashley is what you're saying. She yelled at me all weekend. No, no, no. Again, so you and Carly were just as close as you and Ashley. I'm saying she was pretty close. So let me ask you a third time. So you and Carly were just as close... No, because I don't work with her. Me and Ashley were definitely close as friends. I don't know what you're looking for from me. You're trying to... Make this seem to like, I love this attention. I'm just calling it like I see it. What I see is, I see a guy that could very easily say, could very easily say, during these times said, listen, here's the deal. I got a girl and it's very hard to hang out now because...
I really care about it. I don't want her to, you know, get a feeling started being respectful. And if you did that, Ashley probably wouldn't like it. Then all attention for you would be over. Then consider me saying it now. Well, like... No, I'm being honest, dude, because you're looking at me like, oh, well, it's going to be so tough for you to deal with that. Not really, dude. How brave? Like you're doing it now that all this is coming up? Yeah, but before that, this wasn't on the forefront of my mind. Don't tell her so I can keep getting this attention. Dude, I'm not that kind of guy that I'm going to be like, hey, let me sit you down and tell you things are going to change. I know it's not a conscious thing. I figured that there was a big enough space where I'm like, hey, all I do is hang out with her. Do I have to really vocalize it too? Like, I'm sorry that I didn't. I'm definitely paying for it now. And I'm sorry that I didn't because I didn't figure you were getting that hurt over it. So you're saying that enough time should have gone by where you just pretty much don't even talk to me that I just should have gotten like the idea, oh, that you don't want to be my friend anymore at all? Not that we... I should have gotten that idea? I don't want it to be this extreme. It's not that we're not friends anymore.
Because that to me is like ridiculous. What would you call us right now? So you're saying that we're not friends at all. What would you call us right now? Hold on. I would still say that you're my best friend. When we can go weeks, weeks where we work together and don't say one word to each other. Yeah, that's what best friends do. I do that. I don't do that with my best friends. Am I missing something here? Like I have best friends at home that I'll go months without talking to. I work with you. I see you every day. And we do talk. And what about all the times I've tried... So we don't have a deep conversation every day. What about all the times I've tried to hang out with you and I've said, can me and you hang out and talk? Can me and you hang out? Can we hang out? We tried to set something up before I was going because you wanted to hang out. And I kept telling you, listen, I'm real busy now. And then after that, it died out. Because you don't care. You don't want to hang out. That's the point. And if you did, I think it would have so happened. Here's an email from P1 Popcorn Chimp. He says, I think I figured it out. Before Rob's current girlfriend, Ashley and Rob had an unspoken attraction to each other. Beyond attraction, a connection. As much as they would never admit it, it was there. I believe Rob pictured Ashley as his, quote, fallback girl, meaning that if he didn't find anyone to really commit to, Ashley would be there. Whether they want to admit it or not, I think both Ash and Rob had this unspoken agreement. Now that Rob has found someone he can actually picture himself spending the rest of his life with, sadly, Ashley's become redundant.
The former dynamic that was there is now vanished. It's sad that they never really expressed their true feelings for themselves, and hopefully it's not something Ashley will regret from this point on. P1 Popcorn Chimp. Like, if you honestly think that because we don't talk all the time that we're not friends at all, then let's just call it that. Then we won't be friends. Oh, Rob, don't be a dick. How are you doing that? Isn't that what she's wanting? Dude, you're talking to a girl who's upset and kind of hurt. Your relationship has changed a little bit. So you can be cool about it and be like, you know what? I understand where you're coming from. But no, you've got to be like, okay, let's not be friends. Well, that's kind of how she's calling it, though, at me right now. Well, P1 Tasha's on the line and says, hey, Ashley should have figured it out. P1 Tasha. Yeah, I think Rob...
You know, I understood that men and women communicate differently. You still should have the respect and courtesy to sit down with her and, you know, let her know what was up. You can't just assume that she's going to know, you know, that, okay, well, I'm in this relationship, so, you know, I can, you know, ignore her or disregard her or whatever. It's just respect. It's respect and it's courtesy to sit down with someone that you're that close to. You know, sit them down. Is this P1 Tasha? Yeah. Oh, you have a totally different thing to say on the air than you did off the air. It's the same thing. No, off the air. Listening to the, you know, as it's going and then this extreme that. Yes, her opinion changed. Wow. There you go. Well, yeah, I get off the air. She told you that she wanted to say that she thought that Ashley should have figured it out by now. Now she's changed her opinion to, hey, Rob, you're being disrespectful. You should have sat her down and had a talk with her. And I understand that. And I'm saying, like, I'm sorry for that and that I didn't do that. But, like, is that how she's, like, you honestly think that we're just, like, not friends now? Like, that's, like, you would call it that? Because I wouldn't. No, I wouldn't say that we're not friends because I, with everything that we've been through, like, there's no way that this friendship could just dissolve. You know what I mean? But, like, this is not a bit to me. The bed.
I don't even want you to play it. Like, this is not... This is so far from fake. She's not well right now. And funny. It's so far from fake and funny. Oh, no. Here we go. Fight it off. I think sometimes it's better to just get it out. Tough love it is. Tough love. Maybe this is why she's been so angry these past couple months. Oh. Taking it out on everybody else. Good point. What do you think, Ash? Ash, can you hear me? Yeah, I hear you. It's all Rob's fault. No, it's P1 Alma. Oh, wow. There was Ashley saying, yes, I can hear you. P1 Alma? Yeah. Eddie just waved at Boston Rob through the window, through the glass. Just waved at him. And gave me a wink. I don't know. Hang in there, buddy. Alma, what did you want to say? Well, I mean, this, I totally know what you're going through, Ashley. This is actually a really sensitive, you know,
Touchy subject for me because... Stop. Music. I have my best friend, Adrienne. We spent every day together. I mean, I spent the night at his house. I mean, 100%, nothing ever happened to me. We were best friends. And then I got with my boyfriend. We've been together for two years now, but I had to... It kind of... Our friendship... Actually, you should be really grateful for what you have with Rob, even though it's gonna... You know, it might... You might not spend as much time with him, but, I mean, I completely lost my best friend because just talking to him, like, kind of stopped my... Ashley does not have an expression on her face as that is being played. No expression? How's some compassion, you truck? How could she not think that was funny? Ashley just got to look like, okay, well, all right, are we done? Or what are we going to do? Are we going to... Hold on his face!
Or are we going to just keep playing that sound effect? This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. I would like to hear Trey Parker and Matt Stone. from South Park, introducing the University of Colorado football team because they're alumni, and doing it in Cartman's voice. Cut one. Our lineups are Colorado. We have a very special guest. We are in Boulder, after all, home of South Park and the home of Eric Cartman. Here's our offensive skill guide. Cody Hawkins is the quarterback because he's the coach's son, so he can do whatever he wants. Hugh Charles is our top running back, and he weighs 190 pounds.
just like me. The offensive line is led by senior tackle Tyler Palumbas. He's really good at being offensive. He offends just about everyone. All the time. The defense for Colorado and Eric Cartman. The defensive front is led by George the Rabid Goldfish Hippolyte. He's not really called the Rabid Goldfish. I just made that up. Colorado has awesome linebackers and Jordan Dizon is the latest. He's sure to win the Butt Kiss Award because he's the biggest butt It's weird because to me, it sounds like that Cartman voice has changed so much since I remember it last. It sounds real watered down, like he doesn't have any enthusiasm for doing the voice anymore or something. Wasn't that funny to me? Well, I mean, he's been doing it for 450 years, the voice of Cartman.
So I guess now it's like, okay, so I'm Cartman. How do you like the uncomfortable laughter by the announcers in the booth? They didn't think it was very funny either. That's great. I love that North Park show. Well, this went well. Watch it every week. Did you guys hear about the guy in Utah that got tasered? Don't tase me, bro. It's the number one. It was the number one video viewed on YouTube. The guy gets pulled over with his wife in Utah and he gets tased. Cut five. Put your hands behind your back. Now, I've seen it a few times. I've watched it a few times. So, um, and everybody's like polarized on what they think about it. Very clear to me that this cop is a jerk. That's what it sounds like. There's no doubt. There's no doubt about it.
He's a jerk. It's also clear that the guy that got tasered was not completely doing what he was supposed to do and stuck his hand in his pocket, which is a bad idea. Don't ever, ever, under any circumstances, stick your hand in your pocket when you're talking to a cop because they don't know what's in your pocket. No. And he's saying to him, put your hands behind your back. And the guy is doing this thing where he's like, what's the matter with you? What's the matter with you? He's doing this. Which is body language of like, listen, when a cop says, put your hands behind your back, I'm like, okay, here they are. Right. Please do whatever. And there's no doubt about it. The cop's a jerk. Oh, yeah. But. He's still got to comply. Dude. Like, not just comply. Like, comply in a hurry.
That's what you do. Especially with a jerk cop. Because you never know what's going to happen. If it were up to me and I were like the boss of cop land, I would fire him. And I would fire him because I think it could probably be proven that he was taking the right steps and all that. But it's very clear that he is acting a little bit emotionally as well. Because although it's a little questionable, like the hand in the pocket and all that stuff, a little questionable. You realize what you're dealing with on both sides. You can pretty much see when you're watching it on both sides. Like, both of them are pretty dumb, if you ask me. How about this one? A 911 call that I have not heard, but apparently the 911 call comes from a 10-year-old in Tennessee who has witnessed her mother's boyfriend kill her, then kill himself. The 911 operator thinks the call...
is a prank. Oh. Cut four. 911, location of emergency. Where are you at? Hello? Pause. Now you can tell the kid's crying, okay? And when the kid starts crying, it's pretty clear. Right. Before that, I would say it was questionable because the kid didn't sound... I think we all expect that when somebody's died or been killed, you expect to hear somebody with this crazy emotion in their voice. You do. I think that that's reasonable. to expect that when somebody's been killed and somebody's calling that you get an emotion. I also think that the 911 operator may not be new to getting pranked. Kids prank. They do that. They do. But even if it's a prank, do you have to take it seriously? I guess you're supposed to. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, maybe. I guess. I don't know. It sounds reasonable to me that you would. But now that the kid's crying, now the kid's crying,
No matter what, I think you're like, it sounds real. Unpause. What happens next? Because it stops there, but it sounds to me like maybe even the operator realized at that point. Oh. The thing that's going to just tear that operator up is, you think that's funny? Yeah. I'm like, no, I don't. Very, very compelling piece of audio. It just came out. Cool. Eagles were all on 60 Minutes. I didn't see any of it, but I really liked the Eagles. Like Donovan McNabb and Bryant Westbrook? No. Not those Eagles. Because that wasn't 60 Minutes. It was football night in America. No, no, no. Maybe you got confused. I'm talking about Don Henley, Glenn Frey. Oh, the Eagles. There they are now.
Here they are talking about the band's breakup after making the album The Long Run, cut 32. I mean, it was turmoil in this group from day one. There were disagreements and dramas. And once we started to have some success, we were all freaked out about losing it. All we felt was the pressure to do better than Hotel California. And, you know, it ate us up. And then throw in the fact that we were able to, you know... afford and do any drugs we wanted. That sort of brought out the worst in everybody. That definitely sounds like old hippies. Guys that used to smoke a lot of dope and now they're older. You guys hear about Hulk Hogan? Yeah. Hulk Hogan apparently gets a phone call from the press asking him to comment about his wife serving him with divorce papers and he didn't know. Oh, man.
Yeah, he from, you know, I didn't hear the call, but the way they make it sound is when the Fox affiliate in Tampa, Florida called to say, you know, what do you what do you think about your wife filing for divorce? He goes, oh, yeah, thanks for the great information. Like, yeah, like sarcastically. And then he actually, I guess at that point, started calling people like his lawyers and stuff, found out it was true and then called back the Fox affiliate in Tampa and said, oh, you know, I'm kind of shocked. Actually didn't know. You caught me off guard. My wife's been in California. Does he call everyone that brother, Eddie? Oh, yeah. Even his ex-wife? Hey, brother. Yeah. Have you really served me with papers? Yeah. And then she says yes, so he calls the press back and goes, hey, brother, sorry. Right. I just talked to a brother, and she said, yeah, she did do that, so. So his wife has filed for divorce, but at the same time, his wife recently gave a statement where she says she hopes they can work it out. That's weird. So do I, brother. Brother, I still love you. Weird. You're the brother of my children. Oh, creepy. Divorce-a-mania. Mary Delgado won The Bachelor a few seasons back. She married this guy. He was a professional bass fisherman.
I can't remember his name. Oh, Byron. Byron. Yeah, and they've been living together. Right, she won is what I'm saying. She won. They didn't get married. She got the ring. She won the contest. And they've been together ever since. She won the contest. And they've been bass fishing together ever since. They're engaged. Yeah. And then she got arrested this weekend. What? For smashing him in the face. Oh, my God. With a fish? Yes. With a large mouth bass. She kicked his bass. With her fist. Split his upper lip. Oh my gosh. You know why? Mexicans are good fighters, man. I can tell you as a Mexican. We're good fighters. We got a good left hook. We got a good right hook. This is true. We're really good. She's best in her class. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. It's true. They say that alcohol was involved. It was? Yeah. Surprise, surprise. Tequila? Come on. That's crazy. You're telling me that that woman punched him in the face and alcohol was involved?
So she spent about 14 hours in jail and will now have a pending court date. They put you in jail for that? Punching your phone in the face? It's called assault, Mike. It is. You're telling me that as a woman, this is what it's come to now in this country, that you can't even get drunk now as a woman and punch your fiancé in the face, split his face open? I'm drunk. Now they take you to jail for that? Yeah, it's crazy. They call it the two-drink law. You're allowed two drinks, but that's it. And if you go past that and punch in the face, under two, you're fine in Florida. They let you go if you're a woman and you split your man's lip open after a beer and a half. Tough love it is. Tough love. Last week they were on The Bachelor after the rose together talking about how much they're in love and their plans to get married. That's all still true. It's a very loving relationship. Oh, you know what? I want to know so bad. What caused it? What happened? Like, what happened? What did he say?
It's probably a little blurry. Yeah, maybe she doesn't even remember really what he said. Katie Couric is allegedly being blackmailed over intimate pictures of herself. Yeah, so the way the story goes is that Katie Couric and her boyfriend took a little vacation where some intimate photos were taken. I guess you can say things are getting pretty serious. Is this the young guy, like a real younger guy than her? I think so. That's the last one who was reported to be your boyfriend, right? Yeah. I like her base. So they get back from the vacation and they go to a party where she brings her camera to and is taking some pictures but accidentally leaves the camera at the party. And somebody picked it up and is now, you know, saying a million dollars if you want your camera back. Been there, done that. And you know, there's pictures on that camera that you don't want people to see. Katie, one woman to another. Pay the money, man. No. Wait. It's worth it. Next thing you know, her apartment's gonna get flooded. Stop. I've lost my camera too, man. I'll tell you who it was, Katie. It was that intern. Yeah. Ask the interns. Never trust an intern. Never. They'll all steal your camera and sell the pictures to the Inquirer.
Never, ever, ever tape yourself having sex. You think you're going to erase it. You say you're going to erase it. But you're not going to erase it. And someone's going to find it. Katie. It's just the worst, worst idea you could do. Never, ever tape yourself having sex. I can't stress this enough. I think that the person that wants money from her, if it's true, I think they can go to prison. Yeah. Well, it's blackmail. I think that that's illegal. Oh, yeah. Skrill. I don't know what kind of penalty you face, but I think it's real bad if you do that. Chris Daughtry was bad-mouthing American Idol. What a shock. Idiot! I'm sure that surprises a lot of us. Yeah, I guess it was backstage after the American Music Awards where he was one of the big winners of the night. And he said something to the effect of, they were asking about American Idol, and he said that that show didn't make me who I am. Yeah, it did. Yeah, it did. And now...
Chris, that's not true. It did. Oh, those comments were taken completely out of context, and now he's trying to backpedal, backpedal, backpedal. Cut 43. 100%. I wasn't really able to do what I'm fully capable of on that. You know what I mean? That was just, to me, a way of showing my voice off. This is a totally different thing. We're musicians. We write our music, and it's a totally different ballgame. He's so mad about it. He's saying his band has proven that they are very talented on their own. Whatever, dude. You should be thanking your lucky stars you were on that show, bro. You would never be anywhere. Right. You should still be thanking them. There was never a thank you. It was always so angry. It was such a resentment towards American Idol. It was such a lame show. Dude, you were on it, dum-dum. You're the one who auditioned, guy. Remember that look you had on your face when you got eliminated? Yeah. You cared a lot.
Yeah. Yeah. Cut 42. Normally, when you get fans from a show like that, they're pretty loyal to you. But you still have to put the work in to make sure you put out the best thing you can. It was everything else that we were worried about. Like, is rock radio going to take it seriously? You know, are we going to be just taken seriously as a band in general for our songwriting and for who we are? We have been, and that's a really cool thing for us. No, it sounds like it, dude. It sounds like it's a blast, and you sound happy and stoked. That changes everything. My whole opinion. That guy can win 80 Grammys. He could be the number one selling guy in America. It'll never leave you, Chris. You'll always be the dude on American Idol. Never. It will never, ever, ever go away.
You'll never be a band that got discovered and became famous. On your own. Never. You'll always be tied to Paula Abdul. America's sweetheart. This email, the subject is Ash, you don't want Rob. You don't need to chase Rob. You should be running away from him. I married a dirtbag and look how it turned out for me. Signed Kurt Cobain. That is from P1 Josh. I might want to get rid of that one. I'm crinkling it up right now. It's a big letter. It didn't seem that long. It was a really long email. I'm almost done crumpling it up. Just a couple sentences. Is that like 72 point? All done.
There it goes, right into the trash can. Where it belongs. I have a note here to talk about how Zeth exaggerates. I don't even know what that means. What does that even mean? What does it even mean? Zeth, what did you tell... Going around the room, I said, Zeth, what did you do this weekend, Zeth? What was everybody up to this weekend? And I wanted to know. Zeth. Come on, Charlie Brown. Well, this weekend I went to a friend's family gathering. A couple people over there, whatever. And there was a P1 there, nice enough guy. Kind of intense, but, you know, that's fine until... What do you mean by intense? Well, he was just kind of real, kind of into it, just kind of touchy and kind of always where I was. So I was like, all right, well... So he was intense about the show is what you're saying. Just intense in general. Got it, got it. And so I go to leave at the end of the night. And, you know...
He comes up to me, and he's like, hey, dude, you know, where are you going? I was like, oh, I'm going. He's like, hey, can I follow you, and can we hang out? Did he really say that? He really said it. He said just like that. Yeah. Now, the only reason I questioned it for a minute and said, you know, Zeth wrote down the note, Zeth exaggerates, is because Zeth has been known to say things like, you know, Ashley hates me. Or he'll say, Shauna hates me. It's very, like, extreme. The comments will be very extreme. And then once you talk to him and you sort of investigate a little bit, you find out, oh, Shawna doesn't actually, our program director, Shawna, she doesn't actually hate him. She reduced his hours. Oh, he did. But it comes out, she hates me. You know what I'm saying? So when he told me, I thought, man, that sounds crazy that somebody would say, can I, their words would be, can I follow you home and hang out with you? You're telling me a big fat lie. No, he, no, Chris Hansen.
Chris Hansen just burst into the room from Dateline. Maybe he's been investigating. You're telling me a big fat lie. Wait, Chris. Secret traffic. Well, he came in. He said it. When Chris Hansen just said that, he had a bunch of transcripts in his hand. Blank my blank and blank you. Seth, you said that? Or did the other guy? Did the other guy say that to you? Chris Hansen, who said what the who? He's completely shaved in his private area. Chris Hansen. I wonder who controls Chris Hansen. Get a hold of that. I don't want to know. Shut up. Come on, dude. No laughing, Chris Hansen. No. Not gay. That's a good one. Who even said that you were? Wow. Where did that come from? Hey, easy, Tom Cruise. I want to wrestle you so freaking bad. We will now go around the room and we will announce who we pulled for Secret Santa. Get this ready for P1Site.com. They'll love this. I pulled Sean's name. I will be buying a gift for Sean and only Sean. Eddie, whose name did you get? I got the resident dirtbag, B. Reezy. Yes. Skye, who did you get? I got Mike.
Oh, sorry, Mike. I'm sorry, Mike. Oh, another jackass plant. That was a housewarming gift, okay? It wasn't lost on anyone. It was so covert. Look, Mike, I got you this plant. It's called the donkey ear plant. I hope you enjoy it. It's a beautiful specimen. It's like, oh, really? The donkey ear plant? Give it back then, jerky. You killed it. Surprise. You just drew my name. Who wants to trade? There's no trades. Secret trades? No trades. Oh, I have to tell that story, too. What, Eddie? What did I miss? I was just saying, because I know you wanted me secretly. Not such a secret now. Trade with Sean.
It was me, and you wanted to get me originally. Oh, wow. Ashley doesn't like that Sean drew her. Well, she wants her present on time, doesn't she? We all know how Sean is with gifts. Well, what? This is brutal. What? No, Sean is not the Christmas spirit. We're the most dysfunctional radio family. We know how Sean is with gifts. It's no offense to him. I just know he doesn't like to buy gifts. I told you they're already purchased, but okay. I'm sorry, Sean. I would have loved to. So, Sean, you drew... Well, I was about to tell everybody, we actually drew names, but Sean drew himself, so we had to draw again. And a couple of people drew the same names. Sky drew my name, and she wasn't making a secret out of how she didn't want me. And then she drew me again. It's fake. I said, I go, Sky, you are destined. To buy from me. Best friends. Mike's the one I stress about every year. Oh, yeah. I do. Because I don't really want to buy him anything. I hate giving to him. Because he's obviously very critical of gifts he receives from me. You got me a jackass plant. Unbelievable.
I thought it was a beautiful plant. It's like this. Like, I give Skye a plant. I'm like, Skye. And she thought it was so veiled. Like, you know, her and Bunny Boo were laughing about it, but I'd never figure it out. I'm like, Skye, look, it's a plant. It's called the female dog plant. I hope you enjoy it. Oh. You're like, really? Is that what it's called? Is that right? The female dog plant. But isn't that a, oh, no, that's not what we were thinking. Never had that thought until you said it. Oh. But okay. You give that up. All right. Don't believe me. Fine. Ashley, who did you draw? Eddie, which is rad. I'm going to hook him up fat. I already have ideas. I'm married. Rob, whose name did you draw? Zeth. So Zeth gets nothing? Great. Sorry, Zeth. Zeth, it's my friendship. You get a steady handshake. Zeth, who did you draw? Sky. Hope you like macaroni cards. It's going to be a great Christmas. I think we got to all of it. The one thing I didn't get to hear, Sean, did you sign off? Sean said before the show that somebody, like they were having, they got invited to something, Sean and his wife. And they said they couldn't make it because they had some other commitment or something. And so the people showed up to surprised.
Sean and Dina to make sure they were like telling the truth. They were like checking up to see if that story was for real. And I want to talk to them about it because I am like well what like what would get them there? Like what would get them to the point where they felt like they needed to check up on you? I want to talk about it. But we can't until tomorrow. Save it. Sean has to sign off every day at 1030. Britney Spears allegedly adopting Chinese kids. So we'll see you tomorrow. Do you know I went this weekend and like I normally do, I buy like every gossip magazine and she was on the cover of every single one. It's insane. It's insane. Everyone was like a different story too. Plastic surgery, her kids, custody. Hey listen, anytime anybody wants to say enough with the Britney Spears stuff, no one cares. Actually, they do. Listen, everybody, I think, is interested in train wrecks. Unfortunately, that's our society. We're interested in it. Dennis Rodman's getting sued. He's got a harassment suit filed against him from a woman that works at the Hard Rock in Vegas. Yeah, she claims that he assaulted her last year by rubbing against her body and slapping her on the buttocks. That doesn't sound like Dennis Rodman.
She also accuses the Hard Rock management of firing her after she complained about his behavior. Like Eddie alluded to, back in 2001, Dennis Rodman had to pay a guy who worked the craps tables at the Mirage $80,000 because, I guess, when Rodman was there throwing dice, he humiliated the guy by rubbing dice on his head, chest, stomach, and genitals during the craps game. Can you imagine you're sitting there? You're just trying to have a good time. No, you're just trying to work, man. You're just trying to keep a roof over your head. Dennis Rodman has been a dice on you. Can we sit down? Just play craps already. Oh, man. Let's see. Today's Cyber Monday. 75% of retailers online are participating. You get good deals today online. That's cool. And tomorrow it's supposed to be over. So if you want in, get in today. And they're saying like free shipping. That could be costly. Oh, yeah. So get into it. Opponents of the alcohol ban at the beach are getting together, trying to get signatures together to put it to a vote. Yep. So if they get enough signatures, which they need 30,000 signatures to put it on the ballot, then the people can vote, and it's been on the ballot before, and it's never passed. So this can undo what the city council has done, if they're successful. Yoran Vandersloot.
And the Kalpo brothers have been arrested in connection with Natalie Holloway. They say they got evidence, I guess. Really? Yeah, the prosecutor says that they have enough evidence to prove that she's not alive anymore. So they were taken into custody. Vandersloot will see the judge today to determine if there's enough evidence to hold him for eight more days. Beth Holloway, Natalie Holloway's mother, was on our show earlier in the year. How sure are you that this kid, Vandersloot, is responsible for this? Well, we go back to the known facts, and regarding the three primary suspects, or the three suspects, we know that these are the men that Natalie was last seen with. We know the condition she was in as they were describing her in their statements, and those are disclosed in the book, and in the car. And we know the sexual conduct they engaged in with her. And we know the 22 different stories that they have given...
interrogators to explain what they did with Natalie that night. So we know whatever was transpiring was not good, and this was against Natalie's will. I mean, she was definitely not in the state of mind where she could make her conscious decisions. So we have a photo of her a couple hours before the suspects took her. This is of Natalie in complete control. They describe her in the car as no control. So we strongly feel that she was drugged shortly before they took her from the establishment. Yeah, so they were taken back into custody. They said new investigators started looking into things and using different techniques to reexamine some things like cell phone records, text messages, and they also found that some existing evidence was improperly analyzed. Really? Yeah. Britney Spears' album is officially a flop. Ooh. Yeah. Wow. Sales are just pitiful. That's crazy. So we've hit the month mark of her album coming out. It's only sold 430,000 copies. Keep in mind, her last album, In the Zone, sold over 600,000 copies in just its first week. Oh my goodness. I used to have it up here. Where is it, Ash? What? Where's that edited Britney thing? Remember it used to be... Didn't we have it on the page up? No? Yeah? Yeah. I mean, I change it every Monday, so I probably miss...
Moved it. Throw it back. I want to hear it. I think it's a good song. Her big hit, what was it called? Give Me More? Yeah, but she's, you know, not doing any promotion for the album. No tour, no signings, no interviews, nothing. And, you know, I'm sure that's having a huge effect on sales. I guess it really plays a big part, huh? Yeah. Plus, you know, I think a lot of her, you know, fan base is teeny boppers. And if I was a mother, I wouldn't want my child into Britney Spears at this point. Where'd you stick it, Ash? Any copies, Skye? What did I say? $430,000. That's bad. In a month. That's real bad. How will Sarah, the front desk receptionist that's a big Britney Spears fan, how could she possibly spin that one? I think she'll probably say that the record is actually really good, but people aren't, you know...
consuming it because of all the other media attention that Britney's getting. So it's like a conspiracy and the media is at fault. Yeah. Totally. So she will not... I would have a huge rebuttal against that. Oh, let's get her on them. And I'm a huge Britney Spears fan myself. It's hard for me to deal with seeing her flop. Good morning. Hi, Sarah. Hi. It's Mikey. Hi. Can we talk to you about Britney? Yes. Well, her album is officially a flop. She has only sold 400,000 albums. Yes, I've heard. What say you? I mean, it's completely different than her other ones. Like Sky was saying, she didn't do any promotion for this. You know, she still pulled out this album during one of the worst years of her life. It's still really good. It's still really fun, bottom line.
It's not really fun. It's really fun. Ashley, it is not fun, you're saying? You think the tracks are all good. You think the CD's just as good as her previous ones. I didn't say that. I actually prefer her previous ones, but I think this CD is really fun. But do you think it's good? Yeah, I do. Like, they're all good songs? No, there's like one or two that, honestly, I don't... That are good. There's one or two that are good. Would you say the majority of it is bad, Ashley? Absolutely. And I am a huge, huge Britney fan. Oh, I know. But you know what? Other friends of mine, too, that aren't supporters of Britney bought the CD and even tell me they're amazed how good it actually turned out to be. So, I mean, and you know what? Gotta give Sarah credit. She will defend that Britney Spears. She will defend her to the end. I will, and I'm just being honest, I really think it's a good CD. I think it's fun. I think most of the songs are going to be hits. Thank you. That is Sarah from the front desk. She will always support Britney Spears. Thank you, Sarah. P1 Josh is on the line. Hey, how's it going? Good. I just hope, Mikey, that you're not surprised that for your secret Santa present, Scott gets you a promo t-shirt from Superbad or something. Oh, that would be a great gift. That is true.
I may get a promo t-shirt. You never know. She'd keep that for herself. Thank you. Jake Gyllenhaal allegedly asked Reese Witherspoon to marry him, and she said no. Oh. Uh-oh. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the moon days. Awkward. I thought he was gay. Jake Gyllenhaal? Yeah. No, he just was a gay guy in that movie, Brokeback Mountain. That was a movie? Yeah, it was not. Eddie thought it was a documentary when he saw it. That's weird. It was weird. He's like, wow. This should be in a different section of the video story. Yeah, sources say that Reese told Jake that she definitely... She said yee-haw. No, no. She didn't say that? No, not that I read, at least. But that she says she does love him very much and wants to be together, but it's just way too soon after her divorce to even think about it. She said he's way too good of friends with Heath, and it's intimidating. He said... Okay. I always love you, and I still love you. Okay. Love you then. You're uncomfortable. You are uncomfortable. I am comfortable. Paris allegedly sold pictures from Nicole Richie's baby shower. Shut up. That can't be true. That would not make Nicole mad. Right. Well, because Nicole and her, you know, baby's daddy, Joel Madden, had an exclusive agreement with InStyle Magazine to give them the rights to the photos from the baby shower.
And then a handful of pictures showed up, and Paris Hilton happened to be smack dab in the middle of all of those pictures. People are speculating that the reason Paris is doing this is because she's not really in the press anymore. Everybody's talking about Britney and all the pregnant celebrities, and no one's paying attention to Paris. Could that be true? Come on. So she sold these pictures not for the money, but for attention and to get her face. On the magazines again. Her face all over the face. Yep, and if that's true, it worked. Those pictures were all over. Sales from Friday and Saturday in the retail world were up from last year. They totaled $16.4 billion. Wow. That's a lot of money. Yeah, it is. $16.4 billion. That's a ton of dough. That's a lot of Aquedots. Oh, did you hear about those, by the way? They were still advertising them, I heard, in ads and stuff, even though they've been recalled. Yeah, in the Sunday paper and stuff. Who's the genius who did that? Ads for Toys R Us and Target, and now they weren't actually for sale, but they did say those ads are put out weeks and weeks in advance, and that's what happened. Entertainment Weekly named J.K. Rowling, Entertainer of the Year.
Thank you, darling. Yippee. Excited about that. Did you see Panama Man vs. Wild, Eddie? It was out this past Friday? Yeah. No, it's on my TV. I've got to watch it as soon as I get home. It's pretty good. Is it? Yeah. Cool. I think that's it. I don't think there's anything else that's really that big a deal. InTouch Magazine hired a private investigator to look into if Tom Cruise is gay. Careful. That's funny. And that's it. That's the important stuff. We've got it all out there. College football is still real weird. Number one and two both lost over the weekend. So now they say Missouri is number one. Are you excited for a Missouri-West Virginia-BCS title game, huh? Everybody? What is he saying? Missouri-West Virginia. So Missouri is better than LSU. Well, LSU lost, so they dropped. They're not as good as Missouri. That's what it means. How about a playoff? I don't know.
That's the weirdest thing in college football. So weird. Hey, who plays Monday night tonight? Pittsburgh and those awesome Miami Dolphins. Oh, what a game, man. Barnburner. What a game. It would be a really good game. Did anybody even realize there was a football game on Thanksgiving night on the NFL Network? Yeah. It's only in like 20% of the houses. And Brian Gumbel called the game. The worst. First and 10. Mikey, call us, 570-1053. Beginning and end of every show, we let people call in about whatever they want. Hello. This is P1 West Virginia. What's up, dude? I was calling to let you know that my wife and I went to Vegas about a month ago, and she bet $10 on Missouri to win the national championship because she went to Mizzou, and I bet $10 on West Virginia.
to win the national championship. What were the odds, and how much can you guys win if it happens? Well, that's the thing. If Missouri wins, we'll get $600. How about... If West Virginia wins, we'll get $60. That's pretty cool, though. So should I be rooting for my alma mater to win to have bragging rights, or should I go with the $600? Hey, man. It's a real dilemma. Either way, you're a winner. You know what I mean? I don't know. Either way, you win. How many chances is West Virginia going to have to win the national championship? Exactly. This is your shot, bro. Exactly. Come on, bro. Mikey Show. Mikey Show. Mikey. Yeah. You're a good P1. You got that radio turned down. Of course I do. The other guy before you, he didn't. What's up, dude? Sean Taylor's out of surgery. They say he's in stable but critical condition. What did he do? Do they know any details? Home invasion at 145 in the morning. That's what Sky said. She goes, you think it's possible it's a home invasion? Me and Eddie were like, yeah, whatever. Somebody tried to break into his house a week ago, and then they got in last night. Well, because I know you guys were kind of like tripping out. Yeah, you guys think that's random. Well, that's what I'm saying. Eddie Curry happens to a lot of players, actually. They see they're rich, and the people, you know, when they move out of these bad neighborhoods,
don't really want to let them go. So they know where they live and they go and get them. Or, just speculation, if you're up to shady stuff and people know you've got shady stuff that they want in your house. The man has a newborn daughter. He doesn't really live down in Miami except for on the off-season. I think you're kind of speculating because of his past. Well, he's got a checkered past. Everybody has some sort of a checkered past, don't they? Yeah, I have a checkered past. Well, I mean... Is it fair to throw it up in his face? No, no. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. I think that a lot of people have not got the memo that Sean is a real different guy now. I don't think people got the memo. I didn't get that memo. Well, the last I heard was that he was still... But I haven't checked my mailbox today, so... Check your box. Hey, bro, who's your favorite football team? Redskins. Oh, for goodness sake. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. What does that have to do with this? No, you're a good fan. You're a good fan. It doesn't have anything to do with anything. It doesn't have anything to do with anything. And if he was a cowboy, I'm sure you'd be making this call. The man is shot. Of course. Of course. I know it. We're sorry. Have some respect. That's right. And if he were a New York giant, you would still be making this phone call. Even if he was a raider. Of course. Thank you. Nice. Well, we wish him well, Big Mike. We do. I mean, we don't want anybody getting shot. Of course not. Mikey Show.
Mikey, P1 Oden here. What's up? Hey, I got a question for you. You've seen Chasing Amy, right? Yes, it was many years ago, but yeah. Do you think Boston Rob should pull the Chasing Amy card? Oh man, I don't remember the Chasing Amy card. I don't even remember what the idea was. I will pick up the movie and see what's going on. I couldn't do it. It was kind of Tourette's. How rude. It was kind of Tourette's. I apologize, sir. That was very rude, sir. It was a very relevant movie. Stop it. That's a legitimate question. Yeah, it is. It is. For Sean, maybe, right? Well, listen. So what if the movie is 10 years old? Or more. Yeah. Oh, what? Thank you. I've seen Vision Quest. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. What's up, Mikey? It's T1 Sanjaya, dude. What's up, man? Hey, I just wanted to tell you guys something. I found out how to get out of a cell phone contract because I did it this weekend. I called him up and told him I was in the military and I'm going overseas. Oh, that's not bad for me. Bad for you. Oh, no. Oh, no. I do not condone that. That is the worst. I do not condone that. Brilliant. If Josh Lewin were in the room right now, he would go...
All right, the lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. She's got double shots today. And so make sure you listen. It's going to be awesome. We will see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out.
