The Mikey Show broadcast from Poway Fun Bowl, where Eddie defeated Boston Rob 131-98 in a heavily mocked bowling challenge and Rob later gagged through tripe, cabeza, and lengua tacos. Sky recounted the theft of her home's backflow protector, while Eddie described an orca nightmare and the group swapped increasingly grotesque stories about contaminated food. The cast also reacted to Jenna Bush calling President Bush on Ellen, Microsoft's misbehaving Santa chatbot, and doubts surrounding Ingrid Marie Rivera's pageant-sabotage story. Their sharper arguments centered on whether children's dress-up play should concern parents and whether Joe Simpson was justified in reportedly excluding Pete Wentz from Christmas instead of confronting him directly.
What happened, in order
Jenna Bush Calls the White House
On Ellen DeGeneres's show, Jenna Bush phoned the White House and unexpectedly put President Bush on speaker for a playful family exchange.
Sky's Water-Theft Disaster
Sky discovered that a thief had shut off her home's water and stolen a backflow protector worth about $700 for roughly $15 in scrap metal.
Eddie's Orca Nightmare
Eddie described a nightmare in which the show broadcast beside the Shamu tank at SeaWorld and a group of orcas repeatedly terrified him.
The Bowling Challenge
Experienced bowler Eddie faced first-timer Boston Rob at Poway Fun Bowl, opened with two strikes, and won 131-98 before landing nine pins blindfolded.
Microsoft's Dirty Santa Bot
The hosts reported that Microsoft shut down an automated Santa chat after users manipulated it into producing an inappropriate response about oral sex.
Bizarre Foods: Cow Parts
Boston Rob gagged through tacos filled with tripe, cabeza, and lengua while Mikey and the crew vividly described the cow stomach, head, and tongue he was eating.
Food Horror Stories
The cast and callers traded stories about a thumb in tomato paste, maggots in granola bars, bees in drinks and chicken, moldy food, ants, and a fried roach.
Miss Puerto Rico Sabotage Dispute
The show questioned Ingrid Marie Rivera's pageant-sabotage claim after tests reportedly found no pepper spray on her gown or makeup brush, while Rivera insisted the investigation was continuing.
Princess-Dress Debate
A clip from The View prompted Sky, Eddie, and Mikey to argue over whether a boy wearing a princess dress is harmless play, a possible sign of being transgender, or something a parent should forbid.
Pete Wentz Holiday Ban
The hosts debated a report that Joe Simpson barred Pete Wentz from the family Christmas after Wentz discussed kissing men, with Mikey arguing that a direct conversation would be fairer.
Tone-Deaf Karaoke
Listeners at the bowling alley tried to identify songs from the cast's mangled karaoke performances, including guesses involving Madonna, Sublime, Korn, and Eagle-Eye Cherry.

This needs to be cranked. Hello, yeah. I need, yeah, let me, yeah. Base it out. Really base it out. Testing one, two. Testing one, two. Check the treble. One, two. Check. Hot. Check. Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. Check. Hot. Hot. Testing. Welcome to the program. It's 6.03. A 19-year-old gunman shot and killed eight people at a shopping mall in Nebraska yesterday before killing himself. The Dodgers signed all-star center fielder Andrew Jones to a two-year deal today. Padres didn't even bid on him. No? Well, of course not. Well, our biggest need is center field. Why would we bid on Andrew Jones? That is brutal. Too good, maybe? Yeah, yeah. You know what we got to get? We got to get the address here to Poway Fun Bowl, which is where we're broadcasting from. The reason we're doing it, because Eddie and Boston Rob are going to be involved in a competition today. Here you go. You can put it on here. They are going to be doing a bowling challenge.
Yeah, here it is. Poway Fun Bowl is at 12941 Poway Road in Poway. And if you get off the 15, you drive about two or three miles. You'll see it on the right. And we're going to be here because Eddie and Boston Rob are going to be competing in a bowling contest. Now, Eddie, I've got to ask you straight off. Have you seen him? Yes. I haven't. I have no idea how he looks. Why don't we ask him how his thumb is doing right now? Okay, wait, wait. Let me introduce everybody. Let me introduce everybody. No. Let me introduce everybody, and then we'll get to it, okay? There are seven... Oh, yeah, and I want to remind people there's directions on the website. So if you are at home right now, you have access to the Internet, you can go to www.mikieshow.com, and there is directions on how to get down here to Poway Fun Bowl on the Internet. You print them out and come down here. So let me introduce everybody. There's seven people on the Mikey Show. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the program. I am 37 years old, which... Man, I can't believe I'm 37. I was just thinking about that. That is real close to 40. Oh, my. Oh, my. 40's the new 30, though. Yeah, that's true. Who said that? Eddie did just now. I did. Okay. All right, cool. Are you listening? I'll tell you what. 37 is much closer to 40 than 27 is. Yeah, that's true. Eddie is our producer. He's our sports guy. He's 34 years of age. He is a bowler, and you can see it by that bowling shirt. He can.
You can sit down. We all got it, dude. In Dallas, when we worked in Dallas, that's where he got that shirt. And it says Clear Channel Ballers. That was the name of the team. The Hammer, by the way. That's who he was. That's what they called me. Yeah, the Hammer. Oh, okay. And, yeah, you know, Hank Bauer ripped it off. Yeah, that was irritating, but whatever. What are you going to do? His head and a bowling ball are very similar. That's true. That is true. And our girl, Skye, is 30 years old. She does news for us. Skye told me something that happened to her yesterday that's despicable. And we're going to tell you about it in a little bit. And it was despicable to me. And whoever did it and whoever does this stuff, bad things. Very bad things. Sean is our sound effects guy. Hot. Check. Check. Hot. Check. Hot. Check. Check. Check. Check. Check. One. Hot. Hot. Siblings. Siblings. Siblings. Siblings. Sean is? A human torch was denied a bank loan. That's a good one. Sean is 37 years old. He does sound effects for us. Ashley is our assistant producer, and she will be here. She's on her way to Poway Fun Bowl. I'm having her bring my microphone. And once I get that warm mic in here, it's going to sound real sweet. It'll be like butter. That's right. Okay. So Ashley is on her way.
Boston Rob is here. He is 25 years of age, and he is our stunt boy. And he also screens phone calls for us. And he does challenges with Eddie from time to time, and that's why we're here at Poway Fumble for another challenge. It's going to be bowling today. Awesome! We'll get to how you're bowling in just a second. Zeth is the seventh member of the show, the youngest member of the show. He's 22, but he's not here. He's back at the station doing Zeth stuff. A little running around and figuring things out. Not running it. He doesn't run. That is true. He's kind of here with us. We've got a sign behind us that is his head on Charlie Brown's body. Yes. I love it. P1 Danny from P1Site.com. He makes the coolest signs. He's got this gigantic sign. It's a cut out of Seth's head. Good grief. On Charlie Brown's body. It's awesome. All right. So, Boston Rob, how are you feeling? How are you feeling? Well, Us in the bowling community, Eddie can attest to this. Wait, what? You're not. I threw a few frames, as we say. Uh-huh. Yeah, my thumb's on fire now. What's the deal? On fire. Let me ask, is it because you picked a bowling ball that was uncomfortable, or what was the deal? I don't know, maybe because I've never thrown a bowling ball before. Gotcha. I'm not used to it. I'm getting arthritis. Yeah, okay. Rheumatoid arthritis. Yes, that's what it is.
Now, wait a minute. I think it's herpes. What if you were to find a bowling ball that just fit your hand a little better? I don't think he has little kid balls here. So anything he uses. All right. Well, as many of you know, Boston Rob also has manorexia. So most of these bowling balls weigh more than he does. That's true. That's very true. Thank you, Nick. How do you bowl with a bowling ball weighs less than you do? It's not very easy. Like bore three holes into a golf ball or something? Yeah, that might work. Good idea. That might work. So many things going on. We're still doing our regular show out here today, even though we're broadcasting from a remote location, which, by the way, you can hear the echoes because there are some hardcore P1s that are here right now. Make some noise. Now, these are the hardcore P1s. As the morning goes on, hopefully people will be waking up a little bit. You do a little wakey-wakey, eggs and bakey. And you come on down to Poway Fun Bowl. So hopefully this place fills up as we go along. Everybody's invited. Huge show today. Because even though we're broadcasting from a remote location, we still have the normal stuff going on. Pat Buchanan will be on the air today. Yeah, I know it. This guy was a former senior advisor for a couple of different presidents.
And he was running for the Republican nomination a few years back. Is the Mikey show going political? Not even close. Not even close. But I thought that Pat Buchanan might be an interesting guy to have on the air right now because of everything that's going on with politics right now. Not to mention the fact that he has a new book out, which is what he wants to come on and talk about. The book is called Day of Reckoning. How hubris, ideology, and greed are tearing America apart. Ain't that right, Sky? Oh, man. Yeah, preach on it. Ain't that right. So, Pat Buchanan on. We'll be doing our regular thing of Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. Oh, yes. It's going to be a bad day for you, bro. That's right. Except for in bowling. The more strikes than Josh Beckett, kid. You're so stupid. Really? Like, not more strikes than Jake Peavy. No. Who probably, truth be known, probably threw more strikes. He did, yeah. I beg to differ. He let the league in strikeouts. He threw more strikes. Let's double check that. Oh, wow. Let's triple check that. So, yeah, every Thursday, Boston Rob does kind of a survivor type thing where he eats something horrifically disgusting. And he'll be doing that today. It's going to be awesome. And tone-deaf karaoke. That's right. Awesome.
Good best to meet you, man. So anyway, here we are at Poway Fumble. Come on out. Say hi. It's on Poway Road. Easy to find. Yet the big story, there's a couple of big stories out there today. One of the big stories is this mall shooter in Nebraska. Oh, man. How old is this kid? 19 years old. He's 19 years old. He killed himself. But before he killed himself, he killed nine people. Well, eight people, and then he makes nine. Okay. Yeah. And do we know what the deal is with this person? He just was a very depressed person. I guess basically his kind of caretaker was his landlord because he was on the outs with his family. And so we're getting all the information about him from his landlord. She says he was kind of like a lost puppy. He actually called her before the shooting to say, hey, you know, I left a note. A friend of her son, I think. I think I read that he's a friend of the son. Oh, really? Yeah, but you're right. I mean, she's like a landlord because she let him move in there. Right. She didn't know him. I think the son did. Right. Yeah. So he called her and said he didn't want to be a burden to people and that he was a piece of ass all of his life and from now on he'd be famous and that he had left a note. And so he went into this mall yesterday in Omaha, Nebraska with an assault rifle.
And just, you know, the shooting itself was premeditated, but who he was shooting was just random. He just kind of started opening fire sniper style from, I think, the third floor of the mall. And killed eight people, injured five other people, and then killed himself. Not that you really expect a sick person to. think rationally, but when he says, oh, I won't be a burden to you, he doesn't realize, no, you're going to be more of a burden to your family now than you ever could have been. A hundred times worse than you ever were before based on what you did. They're going to have to hear about this the rest of their lives. Yep, very sad. And it's just random people that were killed. And, hey, random people that were killed, sure, eight people, Sky says, that were killed, including the shooter, makes nine. But think of the people that had to see it. Oh. The kids, yeah. It's just, I mean, when you, you know, if you watched the news last night and heard from some of these people who were running for their lives, you know, grabbing their children and hiding in dressing rooms and in clothing racks, it's just a nightmare. And then what's the deal at UCSD yesterday?
Oh man, some scary moments at UCSD. They evacuated about 300 people, students and faculty. It all started with a medical building and then the surrounding buildings, I guess that specific building got a bomb threat and then a suspicious device was found. So better safe than sorry. So they evacuated the area and it wasn't until about late afternoon yesterday that they found out that it was a hoax and that the suspicious device wasn't really a bomb or a threat. Somebody put a fake device there, though, to make it look like something? They're not really saying. They're saying they found a suspicious device. So whether it was something that was always there that they thought would look suspicious or whether it was something that was planted there intentionally to look suspicious, I don't know that answer. But there is talks that an animal rights group is suspected in this bomb threat and that there was testing being done on animals in that specific building. Like who? God. Well, they list here that a telephone caller reportedly from the Animal Liberation Front issued the bomb threat. That is a known terrorist organization in the United States, the ALF. Yeah. And it's really interesting. There's a documentary right now on HBO about Ingrid. What's her name, Boston, Rob? I think it's Newkirk. Ingrid Newkirk. She's the woman that founded PETA. It is an HBO production, man, because it is insane.
crazy, like, and it's really weird. I was talking to Boston Rob about it, and it's like, you know, for the most part, I thought that the person that made it is a, you know, kind of pro PETA. Absolutely. You know, even though they show you the ugly stuff they do, but it seemed much more pro PETA than anything. But in it, they talk about this organization, the Animal Liberation Front, as being a known terrorist organization. They do crazy things, set fire to stuff, destroy stuff, blow things up. You know, they're like a crazy organization. They take the, you know, PETA, you know, does some pretty weird stuff. PETA's calling them crazy. Yeah, yeah. Well, actually, it's funny. Yeah. PETA's not calling them crazy. Really? No. In fact, the government has been trying to make a case that PETA is the one putting the money to them. Oh. And PETA goes, PETA goes, well. We certainly wish we had the guts to do what they're doing, but we don't, and we don't do that. We're not. Holy crap. Yeah, yeah. I mean, dude, it's pretty crazy. It's really crazy. Wow. So, anyway, that was another big story here in San Diego yesterday. A storm's coming, by the way.
The storm is coming to San Diego, and they say it's going to start in the middle of the night tonight and then go into tomorrow, right? Yeah, we may start seeing some rain in the middle of the night tonight. And then by tomorrow afternoon, there'll be flash flood warnings in effect, especially for burn areas. And we should be getting a decent amount of rain all weekend long. So get your sandbags. Get ready. Ashley, I know you're listening. In your apartment, I want you to batten things down. Mike, she's not even here. Hold on. Now, I only say that. Not cool. Wait a second, Skye. The only reason I'm saying that is because she's not here. So you have this extra courage. Absolutely. Okay, well, still not cool. Now, if I'm being honest, I'm now worried. I know that within a moment she'll be walking through the door and she'll make eye contact with me. Yes, daggers. And those eyes... And that lack of an expression will burn a hole into my soul. It's deadly. It's deadly. When she doesn't smile and her face is just straight and she looks at you, it's painful. Yeah, you know you're dead. Yes, like you might as well lay down, cross your arms across your chest, and close your eyes. Because it's over, Johnny. She's like Medusa. Oh, wow. Wow, I don't know.
I don't know. She'll turn you to stone, man. My hair's a little bit better. A little. Ever. She has beautiful hair. Stop. Yes, she does. She's a beautiful girl in general. Too late. Oh, here he goes. Too late. You're done. Sometimes I don't take enough time to point out the good things about Ashley. Oh, boy. Here we go. It's not going to work. She's a lovely person. Right. And a hard worker. Yeah. I love you, Ash. The other big story. There was an unlicensed contractor sting in Rancho Bernardo. They got four people. For what? So basically, investigators posed as homeowners to this burned down home and invited unlicensed contractors that they saw advertising in the area out to the home to give bids on demolishing the home and removing the debris. Oh.
Well, you know, it's illegal to do any work over, I believe, $500 if you're an unlicensed contractor. But since it's in the wildfire areas, it's been made a federal crime because it's like preying on victims of a disaster. And so, yeah, these four people were arrested on suspicion of felonies. It was an undercover sting. You know, they just thought they were showing up to try and get some work. I got a guy here from the Contractor State License Board talking about it. Cut 35. If you're going to try to contract without a license in this disaster zone to take advantage of these fire victims, you're going to be arrested and you're going to face prison time. Oh, geez. I am not going to do it. Okay, well. Yeah, Mike, you stop doing that right now. I'm not going to do it. You take that tool belt off and that hard hat, and you go home. And Mike quit working so hard. Right? Stop it. Yeah. Sean Merriman just got named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. How about that? That's pretty cool. That's our boy. Yeah. Yeah, he had that huge game against Kansas City, three sacks, and yeah, finally got off the schneid. There's a real barn burner on TV tonight.
If you have the NFL Network, you've got Chicago and the Redskins playing football. Everybody excited about that one? That should be really... Is it going to be those same guys doing the commentating? Yes, it is. Really? Horrible last week. They're horrible every week. So they're the regular guys every Thursday. He's at midfield. He's at the 45 at the 40. He's now at the 35. I see him now reaching the 20. He's at the 15-yard line now. This is not exciting. I see him now at the five. That's a touchdown. You can count that as six. Oh, boy. Oh, it's going to be great. That's terrible. So two pretty mediocre teams playing on a mediocre network with a mediocre broadcast. That's a lot to look forward to. So set your team up. The only intrigue in the game really is how the Redskins are going to perform just days after burying Sean Taylor. Sean Taylor. is the leading vote-getter right now for the safety for the Pro Bowl. Eddie, tell me about this. Steelers defensive back Anthony Smith guarantees victory over the Patriots. Now, listen. Anytime you hear an athlete do this, it's big headlines. It's headlines. Well, is it Ben Roethlisberger saying this? No. Is it Willie Parker saying this? No. What about Heinz Ward?
No. Troy Polamalu? No. I mean, any of the Steeler stars? No. It's Anthony Smith. Yeah, but he's got on a Steeler uniform. He does have a Steeler uniform, but I don't even know who he is. So is that going to be the take? Now, will that be the take? Like, will the take from the Patriots be? It's already been said. We don't know who he is. They asked Rodney Harrison, you know, hey, Rodney, did you hear about the guarantee Anthony Smith made? And Rodney's response was, who's Anthony Smith? Faith. There it is. Not much of a guarantee. I wonder if Anthony Smith cleared that with the coach before, you know, Coach Tomlin. You don't think so? I was thinking about saying we're going to win for sure. I was going to guarantee it. Is that all good? Yeah, you cool with that? That is a bad thing to do. Not very smart. Did you guys hear that yesterday Jenna Bush was on the Ellen DeGeneres show and called her dad live on the air?
Called President Bush. What? Yeah, can you believe that? I'm sure it was very spontaneous and not set up. Hello, who is this? Yeah. Hello, Jenna. What a surprise. Good to hear from you. Hold on, let's drop my paper. Hold on a second. Cut nine. Now, is it easy, like, if you just feel like calling him at any time, or do they go, he's in a meeting? I usually call him in the evening or in the morning when I know they'll both be at home. Or maybe she calls him on the cell phone, or not on, like, the studio. They're in a meeting, which, you know, they're not. On the red phone. But, like, could you just pick up the phone, like, right now and call him? Sure. Okay. He's been killing me, though. Oh, my gosh. You think I would do this? Why not? You're his daughter. Okay. I can just call the White House main lunch. What time is it though? They're definitely asleep. What time is it? Asleep? No, it's only 4.30 right now. So it's like 7.30. Well, they may be in a home interception, but I'll try to call my mom's line. All right, we won't look. I'm going to get in trouble. Oh my gosh. See if you have a dial tone. Hit 9. I might go to prison. You're not recording the number or anything. No, no, no. It could be executed, y'all. Yeah. I'm not even looking. I don't want to get in trouble. I could get in really. No, I just want to say hi. Okay, I'm calling. I'm calling.
I'll call your grandfather if he doesn't answer. Okay. We'll try it. Yeah, this wasn't planned. Since it's on the big speaker. It's for the whole audience to hear. I'll give you a really big one. They don't have an answering machine. This is the name. Hi. I'm on the Ellen show. Am I pairing her with my mom? She's going to kill me. Let me... What are you doing? I think she might be on your dad's line. Okay. Okay, but I'll transfer you. I've already talked to Let me talk to the dad. Okay. The dad? They're going to kill me. I'm going to be in so much trouble. Why? They're going to be thrilled. Why wouldn't they want to say hi to everybody and say happy and merry Christmas? They may have wanted some warning. Barging in in their pajamas or something. Mom? Call. That's true. Yeah. I hope so. God. It's like a phone call straight to live television, you know? Just a hello. Hello. Hey, Jenna. Hi, Mom. Hey, I'm not watching you because you're just taping right now. Yes, but what are you doing then?
No, I'm just sitting here with Daddy. Oh, I want to say hi to Daddy. What a surprise. Let's talk to Daddy. There he is. Okay, bye, Mom. No, wait. Hi, darling. What, I love you. Where are you going? I'm not going anywhere. Hi, Dad. Who is this? Hello, President Bush. How are you? This is the Ellen DeGeneres show. Oh, that's great. Who's Ellen? She's great. She's scared she was going to get in trouble because I just said, is it easy to just pick up the phone and call your dad anytime? She said yes, and I said, okay, well then, let's call him. And she goes, oh, and now she's scared she's not going to get any Christmas presents. This was set up two weeks ago, Ellen. Are you mad? No, not at all. Okay, good. See? All right, look, they were showing a picture of you holding your daughters when they were just born. That's beautiful. The best day of your life. Remember, Dad? All right, well, we just wanted to say Merry Christmas, and we thought you'd want to say Merry Christmas to our audience.
I do want to say Merry Christmas to you, audience, and I want to tell my little girl I love her. I love you, too. Now, Ellen, don't be hitting on my little girl. Okay. All right. Awkward. I'm serious. I know you all are laughing. Yeah. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. Okay. Bomb you. Oh, okay. President Bush. You can't make threats like that. I can do that. I can do that. Well, you shouldn't. I remember we were talking the other day. Oh, by the way, 5701053, who's running the controls back at the station? Do we know? Whoever it is, you got headphones, talk to us. We got to start doing that where we can talk to people. Zeth is back there. Is he running the board? Kind of. Whoever's running the board can talk to us on the air. They're always afraid, like, well, that's not the professional way to do it. I don't know. That wasn't supposed to be. It was supposed to be 1940s radio. It was supposed to be 1940s radio. Every time I do 1940s radio, it's very similar to Sky. So I was doing radio back in 1940s? It seems like it. Hello, hello. Yeah, yes. Hello, hello. Yes. Come in. Yes. And we're broadcasting live here in the 1940s. Breaker, breaker. Even though it sounds a lot like Sky. Yes. Hello. Hello. Yes. Testing one, two. Frequency modulation. Hello. Oh, gosh. Okay. Very weird. Who's running the... I bet they can't talk to us because they don't have headphones. Yeah. That's probably the deal. But yeah, I want to be able to take calls.
But I can't unless there's some sort of communication. We'll figure it out next break. And definitely next remote. Definitely next remote broadcast. I'll figure that out. And then we'll be able to know how we're going to do it the next time. Apparently, Scarlett Johansson is threatening to sue Us Weekly because they said that she had plastic surgery. Yeah, she is not happy about that. So they put a picture of her and saying that she got a nose job. You know, they put like an old picture of her and then a recent picture of her and claims that she's got a nose job. And so she has issued a statement saying that she has always been straightforward with the press regarding her body image. And she's very concerned that her fans will feel misled. So she feels compelled to take immediate legal action against Us Weekly. That's basically saying I didn't get a nose job. But she didn't come straight out and say, I didn't get a nose job. That's true. That's kind of interesting. Yeah. Yeah, good point. I would have thought that she, you know, it's all phrased very beautifully. And I would have thought that somewhere in there she would say, you know, I have never had anything done to alter my image. I would never alter my image. Categorically deny. Categorically. I didn't get a nose job. She didn't say that in there, though. She just says that she's going to sue them. Right. They're going to have to prove.
That she did. Right. Other than the pictures, which I haven't seen. We're not looking at her nose either. Yeah, I saw the pictures, and I mean, I saw a slight difference, but nothing drastic by any means. Guess who just showed up to Polly Fumble. Oh, there he is. Greetings. He has arrived. P1 Nerd is here. P1 Spaceboy is here. P1 Danny is here from P1Site.com. So not only if you come down here, not only are you going to be meeting members of the show, you're going to be meeting some Hall of Fame P1s that are here. So come on down here. Let me tell you a little bit about what we've got going on today. Like I said, Pat Buchanan is going to be on the show. We're also going to be doing the big P1 bowling challenge. It's why we're here at Poway Bowl. Anybody's invited to come down here and watch Eddie Slaughter, Boston Rob. Wait, you're showing some bias there, Mike. I mean, just a tiny bit, but still. He saw Me Bowl and he saw Rob Bowl. Well, I've seen Eddie Bowl. He's good. And Boston Rob is basically. I'm decent. You're not decent. Yeah, I am. He's never bowled. I'm resting the thumb right now. We're also doing Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. Eddie, what country are we traveling to today? We're going south of the border today. Oh, wow. To Mexico. I can only imagine. Please be a chalupa. Please be a chalupa. I would say it's probably not a chalupa. Yeah, I wouldn't think so.
and also a little tone-deaf karaoke on the show today. Your phone calls 570-1053, and I don't know who is in the stand-up spotlight. We'll be back. The Mikey Show Stand-Up Spotlight. I always like the lessons they try to teach you on the shows, too. I always wish they would try to teach you a lesson on Seinfeld, like the anti-drug episode. You know, they come on, and tonight, on a very special Seinfeld, Jerry's been doing drugs. Do my fingers look like little... Sayin' George! Somebody has to help me! Somebody! You look like you've been seeing little people on your fingers. All this comedy, all these years, we thought you were making this stuff up. Well, you just let the cat... The Mikey Show. That's the ultimate hang zone! All right!

Now, we have Mal running the controls back at the station. Oh, genius. And so, Mal, can you hear me? Ashley, do you know Mal? Yeah. Okay, so she feels confident. She can say he is, in fact, a genius. And I am going to take your word for it. We can take some phone calls, by the way. So, Mal, you'll help me through this process, okay? Cool. And I'm saying that right, right? Yes. I know, but when I said it, Sky looked at me like I was crazy. Like I said, Mal. I did. I said, Mel. And you gave me that look like that's not his name, Mike. No, that is his name. You asked like seven times. He spelled it for you. That is his name. I said, is it Mel? He says, no, it's spelled M-A-L-L. And I thought, okay, but that means mall. Oh, no. And so I was having a hard time computing it. And so I wrote it down so that I could understand. Thank goodness. And now I have it written out phonetically. Did I say two L's? Yeah, it's just one L, I thought. I don't know. Oh, wow. This is a disaster. Now I'm really confused. The whole day's ruined. I know. Forget it. I'm sorry. Let's take some phone calls. Let's go to the phones. Mikey's show. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hi. That didn't work. Hi. Oh. Hi. Hi. Who's this? Mikey. Yes. Yeah, I was popping my peas during that pajama gram thing.
Can we turn Sky's mic down? Levels. All the way down. No, not all the way down. Just hit the off button. Just hit the off button. Just put it like halfway of what everyone else's mic is. It's so excellent. You do the shoulder streak every time you talk. Your eyes start to sweat. You got to turn the radio down. It's horrible. I love how listeners are calling us to engineer the show. They get it. Hey, can you come down to about 15 dBs on Sky's mic? He's popping the piece too much. Can you guys put a windscreen on Boston Rob's mic? Overmodulation. Yeah, there's a little overmodulation on that one. Let's take another phone call. Mikey Show, hello. Hello. Hello, good morning, Mikey. Hi. Hey, I'm calling to find out if you guys made a decision on whether or not you were going to make more of those Christmas CDs. Oh. If we're going to make... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We did make some of those. The only thing is... We forgot to give them away. We have them, though. No way. Yeah, and I got to find out if Zeth did what I told him to do. Eddie's shaking his head no. You should find out. Eddie is shaking his head no. He should be there. Wait, wait. Can Zeth talk to me on the air? He should be able to. Zeth, can you talk to me on the air? He's in the other room answering the phone calls right now. Innocent until proven guilty. Okay. He let all the P1s down, huh?
That's a heavy burden. Okay, I'm just going to describe what I'm seeing in front of me right now. I'm getting instant messages from Zeth. The first instant message I receive from Zeth says P1 Heath on 4. I don't know what Heath wants. I don't know what Heath is going to say. It just says P1 Heath. But it's Heath. On four. Okay. Don't have a clue. Don't have a clue what Heath is on. Then the next IM says. All right. P1 Heath on line one. Uh. A very common name. But what is he worth? Now, does this mean... Most popular name in 2007. Does this mean that... Pax.com. So babies are calling. Does this mean that there is a thief on line four and on line one? He was able to teleport from line four to line one. Is that what the deal is? Which I think is awesome. Is that what the deal is? That's what I heard. Okay. Now, a new text message says, Texas on one. Wait, what?
That's the state. The state of the state. The whole state is on line one. Go to one. I don't know if P1 Texas is on line one, which is confusing because he just said Heath was on one. I don't know what's going on. Which was a correction because Keith was on four. Keith? Who's Keith? It's Heath now? No, it's Heath. What? Like the bar? Yeah, it's Heath like the candy bar. No, I'm craving candy. What's going on? Oh, this is Heath? Oh, hi, Heath. Is this Texas Heath? What line are you on, Heath? Are you Heath? Yes, I am. He's got 75 cents. Heath, where are you? Are you in Texas? Heath, what can I do for you? What can I do for you, bro? Are you in Texas? On line 805. What can I do for you, Heath? I was calling about the Christmas CD. Okay, and you wanted to know if we were going to be giving it away. Right. That's correct. We are. We are going to be giving it away. But did Seth do what he told him? That's the deal. That's the deal. Sethian Oates, if you can hear me, put on a pair of headphones and turn that microphone on you. I want to talk to you. He's leaving the room and he's going to grab headphones right now. Thank you for the call, Heath. Yeah, we'll figure it out, Heath. Thank you for the call. What I have asked of Seth is Eddie did a really cool thing. He made this really awesome.
Christmas mix of music, and a lot of the music is the stuff from the shows that Eddie likes that come out during the Christmas holiday season. Mostly Rankin Bass. There you go. Yeah, the guy's name is Rankin Bass. Well, that's not his name. Wow. One last name is Rankin, and the other last name is Bass. I was going to say, that's a very awkward name. Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass. That is confusing. Put it on the board. What line is he on? Put that up. So anyway, Eddie likes him. Put this Christmas music CD together, and Eddie... Like, I don't know how you did it, but you had this thing where all the track listings with nice little Christmas pictures in the background. It was real cool. Very festive. So I say to Zeth, Zeth, do something like this. We put all the track listings on there. Now, as of yesterday, he had not done it. I'd asked him two days ago to do it. As of yesterday, it was not done. Perhaps it is now done and we can give it away. Eddie is shaking his head. Not a chance in the world. Well, he would have had to ask me for the track listings, right? Yes. He didn't. Oh, come on, Charlie Brown. There's our answer then. Unless he magically broke into my house and got the CD. At this point, Zeth is a professional Mikey Show fan. He listens to the show. Yeah, he gets to show up and sit in every day. He likes it.
It's like every day's Friday. Don't get me wrong. Guy enjoys his job. He gets to listen to the show. It's like he wins P1 trivia every day. That is correct. And gets to come in and watch the show. That is correct. He's still looking for headphones. No, man. Oh, he's there. Is he though? Because I barely heard it. Because I barely heard that. Is he there? Seth? Yeah. Did you get the thing made for the track listings? No. Okay. No. How come? I thought Eddie was busy yesterday, so I didn't. I like that. I like that. I didn't know you had so much going on. You got to give respect to that. Eddie, priorities, man. The show comes first. Oh, you're right. I thought Eddie was too busy. I'm an idiot. Let me understand this correctly. Zeth thought Eddie was too busy to give him a track list. Sometimes you got a lot of things going on. Priorities, Mike. A lot of things. Wow. Well, let's do this.
Zeth, get the track listing from him today because I want to start giving it away. We'll give it away this week. Well, there's only Friday left. Oh. Oh, wait. Should we check out his schedule first today? I got a busy one today, Mike. I don't know if I can get that done. Well, Zeth, get the track listing and we'll give it away next week, all right? Okay. All right, now. Oh, no. Zeth is defeated. Zeth, also make sure on the... On the IMs that you send me that I know what everybody's calling about, okay? Okay. Okay. That's brutal. It is. It's just brutal. Poor guy. It's just brutal. Poor guy. It just goes through a lot. I have an announcement to make. Announce it. Ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow morning, just after 7 o'clock, we will give you details on the best of the Mikey Show CD. There it is. That is correct. Here's what we're going to do. Tomorrow morning, just after 7 o'clock, we are going to, A, tell you the name of the Best of CD. B, we are going to tell you what the bits are that are on the Best of CD. Oh my gosh. And C, we are going to tell you when the internet pre-sale will occur and when you can actually buy the CD in stores and we'll tell you what stores it'll be available in. Holy cow. So all of the details about the Best of the Mikey Show CD 2007 tomorrow.
We're at Poway Bowl right now. You can hear the bowling going on behind us. That's awesome. And in just a few short minutes, probably about 15, 20 minutes from now, Eddie and Boston Rob are going to be bowling against each other. They're going to be bowling against each other. How many competitions have we done so far? About three or four? How many have I won? Six, seven, eight. You've only won one time, Rob, and it was because you had a professional person helping you. I did some work on that, too. You showed up. Yeah, you were there. This is time it's one-on-one, buddy. I'm ready. Thumb is rested. They've done a slam dunk competition. They've done a home run derby. Close second on that one. They've done a race. And I think that's it. Oh, the volleyball. They did the volleyball. They do their own t-shirts. We got a guy out here with a t-shirt that says, Sean's mom is a fox.
Wow. Really? And that is an awesome shirt. Oh, no. Sean, I wouldn't take it. It's a compliment. I wouldn't take it in a bad way. I mean, yes, guys, right. It's a compliment. It says she's a fox. Is that a furry joke? Wait a second. Wait a second. That was definitely taking it to that next level. Anybody that wants to come down is welcome to come down. We're going to be talking to Pat Buchanan. Coming up here in just a little bit, with everything that's going on with the different Republicans and Democrats doing their debates and everything, we want to talk to him about who he thinks is going to win the nomination. Bless you. Bless you, Jay. What girl is that that just sneezed? Our promotion director, Jay, just... Oh, that was Jay? Yeah. It was? He just sneezed himself into being a guy. Wow.
Oh, look, they dropped. Anyway, we'll get to some of that coming up here in a little bit. Sky had something so weird happen to her yesterday. Talk about what happened to you. Okay, so I leave for work yesterday morning. Everything's cool. Everything's normal. I get a call from my husband after I get off the air yesterday saying, hey, did you have water when you got ready this morning? I'm like, yeah. Do you mean did I urinate? Yes, I always do. No. It's called make water, boo. Yes, boo. No. Yes, I made water. No, he meant water twice, flush once. Oh, okay. Rule of thumb around the house. Perfect recipe. Sometimes make water four times. Please. Sometimes make water thrice. Flush once. Can I please just get through this? So I'm like, yeah, the water was on when I left. And he's like, yeah, because when I got up a couple hours later, the water was not on. And so he went outside and noticed that our neighbor's sprinklers were on. So he's like, well, if it was shut down to the neighborhood, why would the neighbor's sprinklers be on?
Goes to the main. Notice somebody shut off the main water to our house. And he's like, that's really weird. Okay. So he turns it back on. Water starts spraying up out of our lawn. Basically, what we come to find had happened is there's a thing called a backflow protector that is put on to prevent, you know, if you have stagnant water in your house from it flowing back into the city source of water. And it has, you know, copper or brass or I don't know, something on there. So some jackhole came to our house yesterday morning after I left for work and cut it out of our front lawn and took it. This costs $700 to replace. The jackhole who stole it can recycle it for $15. That's monstrous. Oh, my gosh. That is monstrous to me. So we had no water at our house yesterday. And luckily. And think about it. Dude had to shut your water off. Shut our water off. So he wouldn't get wet. Right, right. Not for us. Right, right, right. So he wouldn't get wet. Right, right, right. And then proceeded to cut this thing off so he could recycle it for 15 bucks. Right. And so thankfully, there's this awesome company that I'd like to give a shout out to. Ali Backflow Services in El Cajon. Question.
Do they make a device that explodes when the person tries to do that? I wish they did. I wish they did. No, they install these because the city won't allow you to turn the water back on without one. So they busted out to my house yesterday, and then it actually turned us out once I showed up and was talking to the guy. He was like, are you who I think you are? And he was a P1. So I wanted to say, I wanted to shout, thank you so much. Yes, I am. Go get the 8x12 glossy. I'm just saying, he was a really cool P1, but coming out to the house, they didn't know that I would stop. Do you have a camera phone? Is that it? Boo, I want the silver Sharpie, not the black one, you idiot. If you wanted an autograph, you didn't have to steal that thingy. Yes. And boo, when I said the silver one, I mean the pen made of silver.
So I want to say thank you to Ali Backflow Services and El Cajon. For knowing who I am. For recognizing me. When I said, you know, it's interesting what I do for a living. Ask me about it. No. Go on. Yes. Oh, you noticed the website I have up, huh? My voice is a little bit distinctive. You know, it's terrible that this happened to me. I work on the Mikey show. Shut up. Did I mention that? Yeah. Well, thank you to them. Yeah, so thank you because I was able to have water last night and take a shower, but I just... Had water twice, actually. Right. Just horrible. And from talking to them, I guess this is something that's running rampant in San Diego. Bad karma. Did you ask them about your frog hands? Well, why would they know about my frog hands? Because of the water. Yeah, the water. Don't they specialize in fluoride? No, they specialize in backflow services. Oh, sorry. You know, by the way, doesn't it seem suspicious when somebody walks into the recycling place with like 12 of those devices? Yeah, call the cops, man. Call the cops.
I did. I filed a police report. I'm saying the people that... At the recycling center? Yeah. They should kind of be on the lookout for that kind of thing. Yeah. Because who does that anyway? Yeah. Like, who knows to go take those down there? And I mean, if you do, you're usually taking one, you would think. Right. No, I own nine homes. Yeah. Right. That's why I have nine of these. Just keep breaking. I don't know what's going to matter. It's so crazy how that happens. Well, that's a terrible thing that happened. Bad karma. Don't worry, Skye. Yeah. So I had the boo build a cage around it last night. What? I asked him if there's any way he could electrify it, but not so much. And I know that this is kind of unconventional for me, but I am a gun owner now. I just want to let people know. Stop it. I wasn't for it before, but I'm not only a gun owner, but I'm a murderer of people that will do this. Just to put it out there. It's not right for you people to own guns, but for me, I'm fine with it. Whatever. Number one item in entertainment news today, Sky tried something new. That's about accurate. That's not entertainment news. What did she try? Sky ate something unfamiliar yesterday. Did she? Top entertainment story out of Hollywood. What? Yes. This is so infuriating, dude. Eddie and Sky went to lunch yesterday. Oh, yeah. They had a client lunch. Oh, okay. And went to lunch and, can we say where? Yeah. Godfather restaurant. Delicious. Italian. Never been there, but I heard it's really good. It's awesome.
So you guys went there, and what did Skye try? Well, you know, she decides to ask some people that have been in the restaurant for their recommendation. And one of the persons said, oh, the best thing here is this portobello ravioli. And I immediately rolled my eyes. I'm like, there's no way that she's ordering portobello ravioli. And she surprisingly said, okay. Question. Yeah. Skye, have you ever had portobello? I don't know. I know I like mushrooms. I take that as a yes. You don't know if you've had portobello mushrooms? She has, and she knows it. She knows where I'm going with this. Not specifically. She just doesn't want to give it to you. She doesn't want to give it to me. No. She refuses to give to me. I mean, I could have because I eat mushrooms, so I never say, oh, no mushrooms on my whatever. Let me now do the inside of Sky's brain. But I've never ordered a portobello mushroom sandwich or anything like that. Yes, I've had portobello. I don't know, Mike.
Because you're so accurate when you read me. Yeah, you're always on point. I believe that you've had portobello mushroom, and you've had ravioli. Yeah, not really a fan of ravioli, but yeah, I mean, I've had them before. If you tried shark sandwich yesterday, I would be really impressed. But if you had something yesterday that you've already had, just in different forms... Well, I've had ravioli before, but I'm not sure if I've had portobello before. But this guy was so adamant in how awesome it was. I was like, okay, I'm going to go for it. I'm afraid I have to give more props to Eddie for being proud of you. Well, here's the deal, dude. The bottom line is she's tried it and she loved it. I did. I loved it. I cleaned that plate. She did. She ate the whole thing. And I'm like, okay, so then that tells you when you try things, even if you're not sure about them. You may like them. But see, that wasn't a risky try. It wasn't shark. I mean, I do enjoy mushrooms. But the bottom line is you've never had it before. You tried it. You loved it. Yeah. Which is why you should be open to trying new things. I want to know what time the restaurant opens here at the bowling alley. Yes. We'll find something on the menu that she's never had. No. Come on. Maybe you'll love it. Maybe you'll love it. I love them. What if it's something you like? What if it's something that you could potentially like?
Leave me alone. No, she hates it. She hates trying new things. Well, she tried her portobello ravioli and she liked it. Loved it. It was awesome. Pat Buchanan still to come on the show. Eddie had a whale nightmare last night. Oh no, Eddie. No. I don't want to talk about it. What happened? Don't take your headphones off. Oh no. Oh no. Sean, you probably shouldn't play that right now. Eddie? Did you see something whale-related? No, I don't think so. It came out of nowhere? Yeah. What happened? I dreamt that we were doing a show at SeaWorld. Oh, no! I don't know why, because I wouldn't have shown up. We were doing a broadcast. That was all of us. Sounds like fun. And I wouldn't have shown up if we would have, so it was a dream of stupid. All right. And we were doing it at Shamu.
Excursion theater thing. Stadium. The gates of hell. And they put us right where he comes up to the crowd. And I kept looking into the tank and there was like 10 of them. And they kept jumping right in front of us. I was freaking out. And I'm like, no, I don't like this. I don't like this. And then at the end... He came up on the thing, and I started, like, just freaking out. What do you mean? He came up, like, on a platform? Yeah, yeah, you know that thing? Oh, he probably wanted to kiss you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He probably wanted to kiss him. He wanted to kiss him. Yeah, you know how that's cute when they kiss you? Did it touch you? No, I ran away. Did it eat anybody or attack anyone? I think Sky. Wait. I don't. Which made it a good drink. No, no. Stupid. Stupid.
Well, the orca had never had sky and was trying something new. Oh. You don't say. Look who's so clever today. I can't do anything right today. But he didn't like it. He didn't like it. It was a little too sour. Eddie. Oh, my God. No. What is he doing? What are you doing? He's trying to touch me. He's got so awkward. Pat Buchant, we got to take a break, right? Is that the deal? Okay, we got to take a break. We're still waiting for Pat Buchanan. He's got a new book out. It's called Day of Reckoning. Want to talk to him about what he thinks about the upcoming election in 08. See who he thinks is going to make the best nominees and all that stuff. So we'll do it. 709, we'll be back. We're live at Poway Fun Bowl. It's Rock 105.3. True food. Learn most people's causes.

Do you buy Sleep Train Mattress Centers? We've got a share of tough spots out here this morning right now out of the South Bay. Pretty rough rides on both the 5 and the 805 Northbound coming out of the South Bay from Chula Vista up through National City.
8.05 continues slow in the North Park, and now you've got quite the backup out of Kearney Mesa approaching Balboa. That slows all the way to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. West 94, a bit tight from Kelton to the 8.05, and then a minor delay into downtown. Looking good, though, on this westbound 8. You're pretty much good to go here all the way into Mission Valley. The southbound of the 15 stays tough, though, off the 78th of the Rancho Parkway out of Escondido. Some reduced speeds again down towards Rancho Bernardo. South on 7 to 5, that's a bit of a struggle now from Point City, Lane and Carlsbad, all the way down to Solana Beach. And watch for a bit of a backup on northbound 5, trying to get to the Harbor Drive gate in Camp Pendleton. That seems to be backed up quite a bit as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, let me let you know what's going on with Mossy Toyota. Right now, they are getting rid of the 07 inventory. You want to get in on it? Go down to Mission Bay Drive in Pacific Beach and check out Mossy Toyota. They're making deals. They got some good cars down there. It doesn't matter who you are. They got a car for you. If you're green and you care about the environment, they got the Prius. Yeah, care about the environment. If you like to carry lumber like me. Right. Well, when you're going out to the construction site. Exactly. Then definitely get yourself a Tundra or a Tacoma. But go check out the cars. They got some good stuff down there. And they want to get rid of those 07s. Check them out.
It's Massey Toyota Mission Bay Drive in Pacific Beach. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Mikey Morning Show. Like the creepy grandpa. Yeah, you know, like that, oh yeah, that guy. KIOC San Diego's Rock. This is the Mikey Morning Show featuring Mikey. Consider myself kind of an old man's mentality. Eddie. It's because I read medical journals doesn't make me a doctor. No, I love it. In the sky. I am not a doctor. Why no bad lady? Sean. I'm a giant fat guy. That's ridiculous. Boston Rob. Boston Rob here with you. And P1's listen up, man. And Ashley. I'm a really good maker. Yes. The Mikey Show's on. All right, we're all hilarious. Rock 105.3. Security's tight, but that's just so B-Rob doesn't leave without returning his shoes. And from Poway Fun Bowl, this is the Eddie and B-Rob Bowling Challenge on Rock 105.3. Hey, welcome back.
It is 7.15. Ashton told, her boyfriend Pete Wentz is not welcome at the Simpson home for the holidays after he admitted to kissing guys. Hey, P1s, can you make some noise out here? Awesome. We have plenty of P1s out at Poway Fumble right now because we are broadcasting live. We're going to be here for the entire show. Yes. And we encourage listeners to come down here and watch what's going on. is going to be going up against B-Rob. This is their fifth competition against each other. Boston Rob has only won one time. Oh, wow. And that is because he had a professional volleyball player helping him in the volleyball challenge. Now, Eddie is standing here with us right now. We have both Eddie and B-Rob. Eddie is wearing a bowling shirt. Looking good. He's got on a pair of cargo shorts, his bowling shoes.
Boston Rob is wearing one of those illegally made, unlicensed t-shirts. Right, of course. As always. That has an apple core. It's an apple that's been eaten with a New York Yankees emblem on it. And in Boston Red Sox colors below, it says, how do you like them apples? And it's just another attempt to... Show his love for the Boston Red Sox in yet another illegally made t-shirt way. Right. Well, this went well. Now, Eddie, I want to ask you, what is this device that you're using right now? Wow. Eddie has a bowling ball in some sort of cloth device. Wow. And he is, I don't know if he's polishing the ball. What are you doing? I'm cleaning my balls. You what? I'm cleaning my balls. Well, there's only one ball in there. What are you talking about? I got two balls here. Oh, Eddie brought his own bowling balls, and so he's... Why do you clean them? They got to be real nice. Nice and ready. All right. Does that do something for the bowling ball? Of course. All right. Well, what is a clean bowling ball? Does that go down the lane faster, or how does that work? Yes. Okay. All right. I didn't know that. Listen, you learn something new every day.
Eddie's been bowling a long time. I haven't. I didn't know. A clean bowling ball makes for a better something. So, all right, Boston, Rob, what do you think? How are you feeling? This is much, much, much different than the video game. Well, that's what we were telling you. It is different than the video game. Yeah, Rob has been practicing with bowling with the Wii, and this is a little bit different. This is the real thing. He bowled for the first time this morning. A lot of people giving you tips, including myself. Do you have something that you're going to stick with? How are you doing this? Your tip, I think, was the best. You're supposed to aim your thumb at the pins or where you want it to go. Yeah, don't move your thumb. You've got to keep your thumb pointed at the pins. But my thumb feels like a hemorrhoid right now. It's on fire. Really? Yeah. I've thrown maybe 20 balls or something. Because I need to practice. I need to practice. I don't know. Cut it. All right. All right. Well, Eddie, your strategy is, I'm guessing, being you. Yeah, I'm just going to be myself today. And, you know, watching Rob, I might call shenanigans. Seriously. It's like he looks like he knows what he's doing. Yeah, he does. It doesn't look like a guy who's never bowled before. Really? He does.
Grab the ball and point your finger. That's what I'm doing. Was he BSing when he was trying to pretend that he doesn't know what he's doing? Listen, we did say. Did you see him practicing? No, was he real good? Dude, it did not look like it was his first time picking up a ball. Yeah, he was definitely better than I thought he was going to be. Right, right. My aunt took me maybe when I was eight. His aunt. His aunt. His aunt. And that was maybe twice. The last time I did it was during the boyfriend contest, which I didn't even bowl. I threw like two balls and they were gutted balls. All right, well, let's see. Let's see. Can we get it started? You guys ready to get this thing going? I'm nervous. Nice. All right. Wow, this is intense. We are capturing this on video. You'll be able to see it on the website. And also, Jay from Promotions taking pictures. And so we're going to capture this in every... conceivable way. Who starts? How do we do it? Why don't we let Rob go first since he's clearly the underdog. Rob, go ahead. Pick up a ball and give it a shot. Rob, you've been practicing. Do you have a favorite ball? Yeah, this green one. It's lighter than the rest. That's cute. Make your jokes, but Rob weighs up.
44 pounds. And so it is tough. All right. Rob's got the ball. It's a green ball. He's wearing a Red Sox t-shirt. He's stepping up. Arm back. There goes the ball. Right down the pike. And he's got four spares. I don't know how to call bowling. I don't know what you say. Four pins are left. So it's a spare. No, not a spare. A spare is when you get all the pins down on your second ball. Oh, man. What do you call that? That is, he got six or seven pins. Because I got to try to figure out how to call bowling action. You just say that he got six pins down. Got six pins down. Not bad. All right, here we go. All right, Rob is going to try to pick up the... Is this, Eddie, is this calling... You call this picking up something or what? It's fair. He's picking up a spare. If he hits him. Attempting. Attempting. I hear it. Oh, Jay, that is the most... Jay, our promotion director, is taking pictures from the middle of the lane. He's a professional. Is that at all distracting to the person that's... Okay, Rob is just... He's picked up one pin. Yeah, he hit one. He's picked up one pin, so... He's taking pictures as we're throwing it. I don't know that that's... Is that going to be distracting? Listen, let's have you...
Okay, he's going to turn the flash off. And Mike, I don't know. Jay, come out of there. Take one picture and get out of there. And Mike, there's a screen up there to help you keep track. Yeah, I know, but still, what do I like? See, like he got seven. See, it says six and then one. Seven and nothing right now. Well, Eddie hasn't gone yet. Well, yeah, Eddie is about to bowl. Come on, Eddie! Eddie is wearing his bowling garb. He's got a green ball as well. He's lining it up. Arm back. It's in the lane. Looks good. It is a strike. Eddie's first ball is a strike. Wow. I at least had the lead at one point. Wow. Oh, no. Rob, I don't know if you know this, but Eddie doesn't have to go again. He bowled a strike. And so you're up. You're up, Rob.
You're up, Rob. Eddie, how are you feeling? Oh, dude, that was great. Are you in the zone? No, I wouldn't say I'm in the zone, but it was just funny that Rob didn't know that once you get a strike, you're done. Yeah, right. Throw your second ball. Yeah. Rob's giving that look right now like, hey, call me embarrassed. Stupid. All right, Rob, go ahead. Rob is lining it up. Arm is not back. Okay, now it's back. Down the lane. It's looking all right. It's looking all right. Really sloppy. He knocked down what looks like three, four pins. Knocked down five pins. Halfway there. What a clown. So what we have left here are, looks like he cleared out some pins on the right side. And you got to clear them out now on the left. And what I didn't realize is there's like a technique after only knock down like five pins. You got to throw it in a certain spot to hit the rest of the pins down. I don't know. Isn't that common sense? Ladies, what did you think of his form? What did you think? It's very sloppy. Yeah, it's very awkward. Very awkward, very sloppy. I'm concerned about his pants. Me too. He had to roll them up because they're so low. That looks so nerdy. Well, I was throwing a practice ball and my... What is he? Oh, my. Oh, my gosh. He's got his pants. We're going to need a smaller belt.
Like his butt is completely exposed in the back because his pants are hanging down so low. So on the bottom of his pants, he had to like peg them up just so he could bowl. Like you didn't think to maybe wear something that might. This is my only belt. Any of you girls have a belt on today? I mean, just tell him he's done bowling. It's true. Like if there's a girl here with a belt, it would fit. Go ahead, Rob. Rob. Hey, does any girl have one of those things, like a scrunchie? Does anyone have a scrunchie? Go ahead, Rob. Rob's lining it up. Arm back. Ball in the lane. Looking all right. Oh! Rob knocked them all down but one. So close. Score right now is Rob, 16, Eddie. Okay, wait. Well, again. It's Rob 16, Eddie 10, but Eddie hasn't gone yet. Right. So, Eddie is now... Eddie, let's go! Eddie is now approaching his second... Did they say second frame? Is that correct? Yeah, yeah, they're waiting. Sounds great, Mike. This guy immediately said no. Immediately was saying no. Of course she did. You're in my boy's concentration. All right, here we go. You're in his concentration. Here we go. Let's get some concentration for Eddie. Thank you. Eddie's looking it down. Arm back. Into the lane. It's looking good. And...
Another strike! Another strike! Rob, how are you feeling? There's a lot of frames left to be played. That's all I've got to say. It's not over until it's over. Eddie, you can put it on the... What are you talking about? Rob is... It's too easy. Go ahead, what? I'm assuming I need to get a strike here. I have to. It's kind of do or die. It is pretty important for you to bowl a strike. Eddie's basically bowled two. By the way, the score now... 30 to 16, Eddie. Spanking him. 30 to 16, Eddie. How you feeling, Rob? You going to be able to do the... Oh, no. He's got a face like, I'm actually not feeling good. Oh, weird. What did you say, Eddie? He was trying to practice this spinning ball that he almost broke the entire lane trying to do. And I said, dude, it may be time for the spinner. Well, he did this spinning ball thing that he did. He threw the bowling ball up in the air. Oh, that's safe.
I thought you were supposed to pitch it like a softball. You're so dumb. You're not. Go ahead, Rob. Go ahead. We've got to take a break here in a second. Come on, take this seriously, Rob. Come on, Robbie. No, he is. You can tell. He is. He's trying. No spinning balls. Come on. He's trying. Let's go. There he is, all four pounds of him. Arm back. Ball's in the lane. Oh, that's a nice one. It's looking okay. And he knocked down seven. Just barely missed that center one. He knocked down seven. Rob and the three pins that are left are on the right side. So Rob has to pick up three. That's right. Rob, do you have a strategy here? Do you have something you're planning on doing? Yeah, I'm going to pick up three. Okay. Wow. All right. Way to think it out. Here he goes. He is looking down the lane, walking up the lane, arm back. It's in the lane. He's trying to... Oh! Didn't hit a pin. Completely missed all of them. This is so much tougher than I thought. It really is. Rob was trying to guide the ball with his hands, though. He was doing the get over, get over, get over there. It didn't. Eddie, are you ready? Eddie is going for his third frame. Eddie's going his third frame. Take it back! Some quiet, please. Some quiet, please. They're yelling out, three in a row, you get a turkey.
What is a turkey? They just call it a turkey. Anytime you do three in a row, it's called a turkey. All right, Eddie's going to try for a turkey. But I'm shooting for a ham. I mean, it's not even necessary. Everyone immediately looked at Sky. And Quimby held up her sign that says ham it up. I like ham. All right, here we go. Eddie is measuring it up. Arm back. It's in the lane. It's looking good. Right down the middle. Eddie knocked down nine pins. He's got one to pick up. Now, Eddie, you bowl. Is that a hard thing to do, to pick up one? It seems to be right in the middle. No, I should be able to get this one pretty easy. It's one pin. I don't know anything about bowling, so I wish I could be like, it's in the eight position. I don't know. I have no idea. Go ahead. It's a three pin. You know what, dude? I'm going to use you. Come over here. You're going to help me out. How long have you been bowling? About 12 years. What's your name? P1-300. There you go.
There you go. All right, P1300 to help us out. So he's picking up the what pin? It's a three pin. Okay, here we go. And he's sizing it up. He's looking down the lane. He's walking up. Arm back. In the lane. Boston Rob's not looking. It's looking good. Oh, just narrowly missed it. So close. Just narrowly missed it. Wow. His score now is the Oracle, 57. And the Teeny Meeny, 23. Wait. Boston Rob, 23. The Oracle, 57. And let's take a break. Here's what I think we should do. I think we should have you guys keep bowling because it's going to take a long... I don't think we can do the whole thing in the next break. Have you guys... We've gone through three. We need to get through ten. We'll have you guys bowl about three or four during the break. Come back and finish off the contest. We'll be back. We're live at Poway Bowl. If you want to come down and watch, it's Rock 105.3. I hold on so nervously. Attention. Yes, it is. I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went. and to the Cardi Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on a Costco mattress. Sleep Can was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something, so they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name-brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable?

The score is 57-23. Your first two were strikes. I'm actually really upset at myself because I should have picked up that spare. But what can you do? Well, listen. You're drastically ahead right now. Boston Rob's up, right? By the way, P1300 is here. He's going to help me out with kind of calling the action because he knows about bowling. I don't. Speaking of him knowing about bowling, apparently he wrote an email to Boston Rob this week offering help. What did Boston Rob tell you? He said he had it under control, so we'll see. Oh, my gosh. What an idiot. Offered to help him. What an idiot. B-Rob says, don't need it. Don't need it. Got it all figured out. But he's getting spanked, Mike. Yeah, we can tell by the score you didn't need any help there, Rob. Oh, really? Well, I'm just saying. I'm just looking at the scoreboard. A lot of bowling. Are you ready? I am absolutely ready. All right, here we go. Boston Rob is picking up his golf ball that has three holes in it.
As you know, Boston Rob is very diminutive. A mini mini. He is little. I didn't know they made shoes that size. So cute. Those are actually doll shoes. All right, here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Boston Rob looking down the lane. He's moving up. Arm back. There he goes. It's looking all right. It's going down the pike. Ouch. Oh, which ones did he not pick up? He went 300. He's got a 345 to go. All right, so three pins left. Three pins left. Boston Rob. Do you think you'll pick up this spare? I don't know. That's okay. So he shakes his head absolutely, and then when he speaks, he goes, I don't know. Like the confidence. What happened to the confidence? What happened? What happened, Boston? I thought you were confident. Here he goes. Here he goes. He's got his little green ball. He's walking. That made him laugh. That made him laugh. You mature. Here he goes. Grow up. Ashley just yelled out, grow up. And the ball is in the lane.
He's trying to will it over, and it's not being willed over. Not even close. So bad. Swing and a miss. That's right. Didn't pick up one of those three left. He's so bad. That's okay. I'm waiting until frame six to start playing. What are you talking about? Eddie, I hope this doesn't bother you, but Boston Rob was praying for your hand to break during commercials. Here goes Eddie. He's looking down the lane. Ball back. In the lane. It looks good. It looks good. Now, this is an interesting situation. Eddie has bowled exactly the same thing that Boston Rob did, right? No, it's a little different. He's got a one, two, four. So, like I said, the same, but not the same. But not even close. So, the same, but completely different. Right. Way to go. Way to call it, Mike. Well, three are left. Is that right? Yes. So, Eddie's got three that he has to bring down. Score right now, 64-30, Oracle. Eddie's looking down the lane. Boston Rob's not looking. He's even plugging his ears for some reason. Looks good. Right down the pike. Oh! Eddie leaves one. Is that the way to say it? Yeah, that works. I got to watch Kingpin. All right. The score now is 66 to 30. The Oracle. Boston Rob, you have some work to do. Yeah. All right. Boston Rob.
Yeah, thanks for the commentary. Eddie says, how about them apples? Boston Rob, he's looking down the lane. He's walking. He's sauntering. The ball is in the lane. That's not good. That's a gutter ball. That's a gutter ball. That's a gutter ball. Hey, but Boston Rob, I hear that's not a hard spare to pick up. So it shouldn't be that bad. That was a gutter ball. That was my game plan. Oh, really? I'm going for the strike now. I got you. I got you. Yeah, I guess. It's not called the strike. It's called the second chance strike. It's not. There's no second chance. Maybe Boston Rob is thinking the pressure will help him or something. A lot of pressure. I don't think he's thinking at all. All right. That's a pretty good guess, too. Here goes Rob. He's walking up to the lane. Arm back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking better. Boston Rob knocked down nine pins. And that tenth one was teetering. So what do you think of that, 300? That was a pretty good shot. It was an okay shot, but he leaves one up. Oh, that was brutal. He leaves one up. It's like the back corner one, and it was shaken, but it never went over. Score is 66-39. Brutal. The Oracle. Come on, Eddie! Boston Rob is yelling out, big miss, big miss. Here comes Eddie. He's concentrating. Ball back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking good. It's right down the middle. Oh, leaves one.
And which one is it? It's a five pin. He's got the five pin left. Right in the middle. They used to call him Eddie Five Pin Papani. They did? I've heard that. I have not heard that. At Barnes, I've heard that. You heard that at Barnes. What are you thinking, Eddie? I was in Cambodia. They called me that. All right. Weird. I don't get... I'm still thinking about that joke. I don't know. Maybe I'll get it later. Let's go with it. I don't know. Eddie says, I don't know either. All right. Eddie's looking down the pin. I know. He's walking up. The ball is back. The ball is in the lane. It's looking good. And just missed. Just missed. Now, Boston Rob, you're still not much closer. Right? 75 to 39. That's, yeah, wow. That's a long ways away is what it is. It's a long ways away. Eddie looks disappointed. I'm mad because that's three spares in a row that I didn't pick up that I should have. It's okay, Eddie.
At least you're not Rob. Right? Just look over the scoreboard next year and you'll feel better. Rob just said, I know how you feel. How dare he? All right. Rob is taking a look to the skies. Come on, Rob. Start bowling. Here he goes. He's walking up. Arm back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking better. Oh, he leaves one pin again. Which one is that 300? It's a nine. Leaves the nine pin up. Wow. Rob has to pick up one pin. Boston Rob, what do you think about picking this up? It's so weird. Still very distracted that they showed David Faustino on the screen for absolutely no reason at all. This is going to be difficult, but I think I can do it. I think that that may have been Eddie's strategy, randomly show old 80s stars on the TV screens here to try to throw Boston Rob off. I got Gavin McCloud up on deck. All right.
Rob is checking out the pin, taking a look, walking up, arm back, ball in the lane. This one is looking bad. And it is. And it is. And it was bad. Good call, Mike. That was a great call. Yes. He did not pick up the spare. That was so close. So close. It was in the zip code. It was in the same zip code. It was in Poundway Bowl. Really close. I am such an idiot. Eddie's got his ball. He is looking down the lane. He is checking it out. He's walking up. Arm back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking good. It leaves which pins P1 500? 300. He's got the 1-2-8. The 1-2-8. Eddie, what do you think? Yeah, that wasn't a very good throw, so hopefully I'll get this spare. Come on, Eddie. Put it on the ball. Eddie is waiting for his ball to return to him. Come on, Eddie. Take it back! Eddie's got his ball. He's taking a look down the lane. He's walking, arm back, ball in the lane. It's looking pretty good. It's just floated to the right. It just floated to the right. Eddie, what happened? Really bad throw. I'm upset, but not like it matters. It doesn't matter. The score is 82-48, Oracle. We should probably break here. Let's take a break. When we come back, we will finish the bowling challenge live from Poway Bowl. Boston Rob is looking at a big mountain to climb. It's almost like crawling into bed at night.
And make some noise here, folks, from the Poway Bowl. We'll be back to finish up the bowling challenge next. It's Rock 105.3. Folks, I'll just take a few questions, then I need to get back to the kitchen. Todd, The Daily Napkin, huge night here at Rubio's. As manager, how much of tonight's success do you attribute to putting enchiladas in the lineup? Well, I think it's obvious that the enchiladas make us stronger. They've elevated our roster, and they're going to be a go-to dish. Todd, fork and knife news. Could you tell us more specifically what these enchiladas bring to the table? Well, the char-grilled chicken, slow-roasted carnitas, and two-cheese enchiladas all have their own strengths. But I think the magic for each of them is in the sauce. Fire-roasted tomatoes, toasted chiles, garlic, onions, spices. It's a powerful combination. Yeah, Todd, flavor illustrated. You just used the words powerful and magic to describe the sauce. Todd, is the sauce really juice? Huh? Are these enchiladas juiced tonight? How is it possible that they're this good, Todd? They are pretty yummy, Todd. For a limited time, enchiladas are back at Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill. Four delicious choices, two per plate. With Rubio's Fire Roasted Sauce, they're way beyond ordinary. My son Joey and I were out at the dunes in Glamis when we spotted this family bottomed out on a sand dune in their Chevy Silverado. My Nissan Titan had higher clearance than the Chevy, so I just hooked up some towing cables and I pulled him right off of that dune. I was proud of my Titan's V8, and Joey was proud of his old man. And we are doing the bowling challenge between Eddie and Boston Rob. Boston Rob has never bowled before, and it shows. Eddie is a pretty good bowler. The score right now is 82 to 48, I believe. I'm waiting for the graphics to disappear on Boston Rob's screen. But Eddie's been doing pretty good. It is 82 to 48, the Oracle. And Eddie, how many more frames? Three more frames. Or four more frames, right? Well, yeah, and then you got the 10th frame that, you know, hopefully we can bowl a little bit more there. Okay, cool. So, I don't, what is, I don't, what does that mean? What does that mean? What did he say? If one of them marks in the 10th and they get an extra ball or two, depending on what they do. If one of them marks in the 10th, what does that mean? All right, if like one of them strikes the first ball in the 10th, they get two more shots. If they spare, they get one more shot. Got it, got it. Okay, that makes sense. All right, who is up? Is it, Boston Rob is up? Okay, Boston Rob. You got a pretty big mountain to climb. Yeah, I want that mack in the tent thing. All right, well, let's work on the mack. Oh, man. I want the macky mack in the tent. All right, Eddie. Boston Rob's taking a look. Looking down the lane. Ball is up. Ball's by his side. Ball's in the lane. It's going down the middle. Oh, no. And he left two pins. P1300 is our bowling expert. Which pins did he leave? He's got the one, two.
The old one, too. He looked out on that one. That was a terrible throw. More random people are showing up on the screen. That was Horschach. All right. All right. Boston Rob is picking up his little green ball. All right. The old one, too, he says. Come on, Rob. Just right down the middle. It's really not that hard. He has his very low slung jeans all tucked up. Arm back. Down the lane. This one might actually work. Oh, he picked up one. He left one pin out there. P1300, if you were to analyze what he's doing wrong, what is it? Pretty much most everything. That's what I thought. That's what I was thinking. Eddie, the score is 8257 Oracle. Here comes Eddie. Eddie's staring down the lane. Ball is back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking good. That is... Oh, that should have been a strike. Which pin was left, P1-300? It's a 10. 10 pin left. You got this. Damn it! You got this. Eddie, what are you thinking? Hey, it's all right. Well, I've been terrible at picking up spirits so far. Hopefully I can get this one. You got it. All right, here we go. The 10 pin is the pin to the far right and in the back. You've got excellent form. You got this. Ashley likes your form. I'm married. What? Eddie says I'm married. All right, here he goes.
Ball is back. Ball is out and in the lane. This one's looking good. He got it. There it is. He got it. Very nicely done. Eddie, nice work. Finally. Where is Boston Rob? He can put it on the board. He's kind of small. It's hard to find. Yeah, I was like, yeah, I was. Oh, there he is. There's Rob. Mini, mini. Where are my midgets? All right, here we go. Boston Rob. Has the bowling ball in his hand. He kept telling me this is going to be like the 0-4 playoffs, greatest comeback ever, all this junk. Well, right now I'm looking at 57-92, Eddie. Not really close. Not close at all, Rob. All right, here goes Rob. Rob's arm back. Ball in the lane. Not looking good. And... Oh! Holy cow. I don't know. What was that, P1-300? He left a pin. That's a nine. It was like sloppy. Yeah. It was as sloppy as it gets and one pin was left. Eddie. I don't know how he did that. Like he hit one pin and nine of them went down. Right. It was like weird. It was the strangest thing. It was a chain reaction. All right. Boston Rob is trying to pick up one pin. Ashley breaking down the laws of physics for us. Bowling ball is away. Oh. He did it. He actually got a spare. Wow. It's amazing. You picked up your spare. Bye.
Tell him doing it for the rest of the game. Take note. In the eighth frame. Wow, he is really getting confident now. Got a spare. Yeah. In the eighth frame, now he's confident. So let's see how this turns out. He got a spare. It's 67-92. I mean, mathematically, isn't he eliminated? I think so. I mean, mathematically, isn't he eliminated? Finish him, Eddie. No, he's saying he could get the marquee mark in the tenth. That's what he's saying. All right, here goes Eddie. Eddie is looking down the lane. Arm is back on the lane. Beautiful. Looks real sweet, real good, real fresh. Beautiful. Two pins left. Not bad. And which pins are those P1300? One three. He's got the one and the three left. They're showing my brother Steve on the screen right now. I don't know how his picture got up there. All right. And Eddie is going to try to pick up the one and the three pin. Eddie's looking down the lane. He's walking. He's got his arm back. The ball is in the lane. That looks good. Money.
That looks good. And he got him. He got him. He picked it up. The score is now 110 to 67. As we go into the ninth frame. What are you thinking, Rob? I need a funky bunch of strikes right here. All right. Oh, great. Yeah. Rob is loosening up his hand. That was really bad. He's loosening up his hand. I'm considering throwing a white towel in. Rob says no, can't do it. All right, here we go. 67 to 110. Austin Rob sauntering up to the lane, arm back, ball in the lane. It's looking okay. He leaves three pins, and they're in a strange pattern. What do you see here, P1300? The 127. Is that a difficult spare to pick up? Not really. He's just got to hit right of the one pin. He can kick him over.
You got it. He says. Hit the pin. Yeah. He says you got to hit the eight pin. It'll pick up the four, which will knock down the three. And then the seven and two are a no-brainer. Yep. Boston Rob walking up. Ball back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking okay. And he picked up one of them. That was almost difficult. He left which pins, P1-300? One seven. He left the one and the seven. It is now 82 to 110. Rob, what do you think? Okay. What, Eddie? Wait, what's going on? A P1's saying that I only need two pins to win. I don't know if you could do that. I mean, we're looking at ten pins there, Eddie. Eddie's walking up. Eddie's looking it down. Eddie's walking up. He's looking it down. Finish him off. Come on. Ball back. Ball in the lane. And Eddie. Eddie has knocked down one pin. Uh-oh. Rob's high-fiving everyone. Eddie's knocked down one pin. That's crazy. So if he knocks down another pin. Oh, man. If he knocks down another pin. Right? If he just gets one more pin, Rob, it's all over. It's 112 to 82. He's only 30 points ahead of you, Rob. Oh, man. Eddie's looking it down. He's walking up. He's giving it a weird spin. And. Oh, my God.
Eddie, you've somehow left Rob still alive. Eddie, what happened? I was just really tough, Mike. You know, I think the Santa Ana's blew in there and just couldn't get it. Wow. Well, Rob, Rob, it looks like you're still alive. If you could somehow knock down 40 pins here, you could actually be in the game. But there's only 10, Mike. Well. Yeah, if you knock down 60 pins here, Rob, you're good to go. Rob is picking up his bowling ball. Strike or go home. Yeah, Rob, you're used to three strikes, right? You've done time. Yeah. Come on, Rob. Rob has got his bowling ball down the lane. Oh. He left two pins up. Which ones are they? P1-300. 4-7. Rob's got the 4-7 left. That's how tall he is.
Oh, ironic. The irony. People have been suggesting that Rob Bull in a granny style. Oh, that works for me. That's the wimpy, girly way to play. Perfect. Well, isn't he already kind of doing that? I mean, it's 90 to 112. There's a guy just talking in the background. But there's no microphone at him, so I can't hear what he's saying. All right, Rob. You have to pick up these two. to lose less embarrassingly. This one is not looking good yet. He pulls it out. Rob, Rob, you are technically going to lose in a less embarrassing way. What do you think? I don't know. Do I get another ball now? You get one more ball. You get one more ball. If you get a strike, if you get a strike, Rob, No, I don't know. Wait a minute. I don't think a strike would tie it. A strike would still be 10 points behind. He needs 20. If you knock down 20 pins, you can tie it. What's going on, 300? If he strikes right here, he's still down 10. Got it. Got it. Well, let's see what... Let's just work it out in the background yelling. Let's just see how it goes. Go ahead, Rob. Please, everyone. Let's see what happens. Okay. Rob has his little ball. He's stretching out.
He's trying to relax. He's using the Kama Sutra. Wait. I think you used the wrong word there. I thought that was a way to stretch. No, that's the book. Okay, he's not there. You'll stretch. Okay. And ball back. Ball in the lane. This one's looking okay. Oh, he left four pins up. Which ones are they, P1-300? 1-2-4-7. Eddie is trying to shake Boston Rob's hand. Boston Rob. What's up with that? Boston Rob, are you going to shake hands? Hey, guy. Wait, what, Eddie? It's already over. Ladies and gentlemen, do you want Eddie to finish you off? Go ahead, Eddie, and stick the sword through his neck. Stick it to him. Eddie is going to blindfold himself. Eddie is going to blindfold himself. Watch out, everyone. The ball is back. The ball is in the lane. Oh! Wow, that was awesome. Nine pins down. Eddie knocked nine pins down without looking. Unbelievable. Rob, I'm sorry you've officially lost the P1 Bowling Challenge. Let's hear it for the Oracle, ladies and gentlemen. On the board. On the board. Eddie just threw a ball haphazardly into the lane, and it knocks down this man. Oh!
Rob, that's called insult to injury. I'm afraid you've lost the P1 Bowling Challenge. Let me talk to Rob here. Rob, I know you felt coming into this contest that you would do well. You didn't. Right. Can you talk to us about your performance here today? I'm ashamed of it, Mike. You should be. I'll never show up in a bowling alley again as long as I live. Well, you just need to practice a little bit more on that computer, on your video game. Maybe you can do a little bit better. Eddie? Congratulations. Let's talk to the winner of the P1 Bowling Challenge. Eddie, what were you thinking going into that last frame? It was close, right? Well, I had already won. Yeah. So I decided to do a couple of shenanigans, just kind of rub it in a little bit for Rob talking all that smack after the volleyball mess. Final score here, 131 to 98. Not close. Not close. Not close. It wasn't a close one. And so ends the P1 Bowling Challenge. Give yourselves a big round of applause out here. We'll come back, and we're going to finish the show out here today at P1 Poway Bowl. You can still come by if you want to. It's the Mikey Show live from Poway Bowl in Poway. It's Rock 105.3. This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. The all-new Toyota San Diego. It's big. Very big.

Things are easing up a little bit, though, out of the South Bay, and it's 805 northbound. In fact, you'll find some slow traffic developing just around the 15 freeway, so that's quite a bit north from where it usually starts.
That extends off and on into North Park. Still quite heavy, though, coming into Kearney Mesa from Mesa College all the way up towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. The West 94, looking much better out of Lemon Grove, slows down now from the 15 into downtown. Your West 8 ride's been kind of a tough one here this morning. It's still backed up from Fletcher Parkway all the way into the 805 freeway, and then more brake lights from the 805 into Mission Center Road. Southbound 715, that's a crawl from the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Again, through Rancho Bernardo. More heavy traffic from Camino Dale, Norte, now all the way down to Mercy Road in Appalway. Westbound 56, quite backed up here to come off the 15th through Rancho Penosquitos. That pretty much extends slow across the entire stretch into Carmel Valley to the 5. The coaster ride on the 5 southbound, now heavy from Lucadia in Estolada Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Mikey Morning Show. That's so funny, it deserves me to throw up. K-I-O-Z, San Diego's rock. Mikey Show continues, featuring Mikey. The host of the show is a freak show. Eddie. Guy. I shower at night, and I do my hair at night. Gross. Thanks. Sean. Well, you know what? I'm a nonconformist. Like it. Boston Rob. Nothing in my life can go. Nothing in my life. Poor Rob. And Ashley. To share. Yeah.
I'd share my food with you. The Mikey Show's on. I hear you, buddy. 105.3. The Mikey Show continues. Live Poway Fun Bowl. 105.3. Welcome back. It is 8.13. A 19-year-old gunman shot and killed eight people at a shopping mall in Nebraska yesterday before killing himself. The Dodgers signed all-star center fielder Andrew Jones to a two-year deal for $36 million. Welcome back to the program. Yeah, there's a lot of weird things happening in the news. We've got to go over quite a few deals. And next break, we are going to continue the harassment of Boston Rock. Oh, insult to injury. I love it. That's awesome. Well, we just did the P1 Bowling Challenge, and next break we're going to be doing Bizarre Foods with Boston Rock. Yeah, pile on. And today we will be traveling south of the border.
And so that should be a lot of fun. We'll tell you all about it in just a little bit and what Boston Rob will be eating. It's going to be a lot of fun, Rob. I think you're going to enjoy it a lot. Not looking forward to it, Mike. Oh, weird. That is not a surprise to me, but we'll see how it goes. Nick Lachey was on the Orcra Winfrey show. It's pronounced Oprah. And they were talking about the breakup that he had with Jessica Simpson. Cut 22. What was it like going through such a public divorce? Was that hard? I find a lot of things in life are hard when you go through them in the public. But that's actually another one of the reasons when I watch the movie, I kind of identify with it. Because I think that life, in a lot of ways, is about kind of reconciling things with yourself and then moving on and being the best man or person you can be going forward. So that's kind of what I've tried to keep as my mantra through all this. He also talked about, you know, the whole privacy thing, because everybody wants to know. Everybody wants to get up in his business. Cut 23. Did that also public experience teach you something about this relationship? I mean, I've seen you sort of pull back now. I've tried. Yeah, I tried to pull back. And it's yeah, I think that it's important to keep some things private. That's that's one of the lessons that I've learned. And so I do the best I can.
Not always successfully, but the best I can to do that. Says the man who lived with a camera in your house for how long? Yeah, for a long time. A little too long. But yeah, it's one of those things where you know that when you're in this business, there's an element of your life that is going to be kind of open for criticism, for coverage and whatnot. But I try to keep what I can, those private things private. Also, the teen birth rate is up in the United States for the first time since 1991. Sorry. Oh, boy. Okay, that's creepy, man. Skye, what is the cause? Like, why is this happening? Well, so this is because they're now... What happened? What happened? They're now analyzing the data from 2005 to 2006, found out that the teen pregnancy rate went up 3% during that time, and also STD rates went up. And so experts say that they're blaming it on the increase... Oh, here we go. Well, the experts are saying... Yeah.
Who are the experts.com, by the way? Yeah, yeah, the experts from experts.com. Got it. Experts on everything. Got it. They say. They say, from they.com as well. They.com is good. They're confirming the research that increasing the federal funding for abstinence-only programs versus sex ed and educating kids about condoms and stuff is the reason for the rise in teen pregnancy and STDs. I lost my virginity before I was a teen. That's not true. That's not true. 11, baby. That's not fair. It was 12. It's not 12. 11 and a half. That's not true. 11 and three quarters. None of this is true. I'm a good girl. Thank you. Can't put it on the board. Thank you. No. Ah, the bed board. Yeah. Thank you. I'll be here all night. Another night in my bed post. Right. You're all hilarious. Sky has a list of Google's 2007 fastest rising searches. Oh. This is what people were looking at more than anything else on Google. In 2007. Is that right? Yeah. Basically, these things went from zero to a gabillion searches overnight. So the fastest rising. It wasn't even on anybody's radar. Zeth. And then bam. Yeah, the word Zeth. How many times did that search? No. It was zero. What about F-U-R-R-Y? No. How many times was that? How many times did they go to that? Wow. Just curious how many times. Be cool. No. Tays on day.
Yeah, chocolate rain. No, but you guys are close. YouTube is number five. Yeah, put it on the bubble. Why don't people just go to YouTube? Thank you. You'd rather search it. Yeah. Maybe they don't know how to get there. Some people, spell it. I think some people use Google as like where they type the address of something in. Right. I've seen so many people do that, like especially older people. They'll type the whole address into Google. Yeah. Does it make you mad? Type in CNN. Furious. They type in to Google www.google.com to find Google. Right. And then they go to Google and they type in www.cnn.com. Right. Click on the link. Idiot. That's awful. Okay. So YouTube. Right. What about Britney Spears? Nope. Apple, iTunes, iPod. iPhone. iPhone is number one. That was the most searched thing? They were searching for an iPhone? Yeah, the fastest rising search of 2000. I got one. What about Poway Fun Bowl? No. What about the 28-hour show? No. Not searched. But it was.
Nikita the Fish. Nikita. Whoa. That was 2005. Right? How about the song Drama Queen? Yeah, Drama Queen. How many times was that searched? None. I got one. Ham. There's ham on the list. That's funny, Mike. I didn't think it was. That's hilarious. Eddie, that was not funny. You were the one who laughed. It was not me. But I heard you. It was my inner child. Your inner child laughed. Yes, laughed. Come get some ham. And I grounded him. No, ham is not on the list. All right. Michael Richards, Anna Nicole Smith. Ham Scramble. Anna Nicole Smith is number 10. Sunburn Remedies. Ham Skillet. Omelette. Denver. Denver Omelette. There's nothing having to do with ham on this list, please. Ham Scramble. I don't know. What else? What is on there? We're done guessing? Okay, so 10 was Anna Nicole Smith. 9, Facebook. Facebook? Facebook. Just type in Facebook, man. MySpace. Eight is Heroes. Seven is MySpace. Well, then I got it right. Well, congratulations. Six is Club Penguin. That's a networking site for children, Ashley. Club Penguin. Well, it's number six on Google's list of fastest risings. It's a networking site for children. Ashley likes penguins. Five, YouTube.
Four, Transformers. Three, TMZ. Two is Webkinz, which I guess they're stuffed animals that kids can register and then play with online. I don't know. Like we said, number one was the iPhone. They're going to, in fact, they're going to be doing it in ten minutes. They're going to announce the Grammy nominations. Yeah, so we have Linkin Park, Fergie, Akon, Vince Gill, and George Lopez all announcing the nominees coming up in about 10 minutes. They were able to get Vince Gill? Yes, they were. He wasn't busy? Yeah, it was tough, but they made it happen, man. Dwight Yoakam was busy. They know people. Lindsey and Paris are feuding again, this time over that guy, Stavros. Oh, my God. How many times? A couple years ago, we're fighting over this same guy, Stavros. They both really like him. Yeah, so this time it looks like Paris is on the losing end of this one. So Paris showed up at a club and Stavros was there and she wanted to hang out with him and spend that evening with him. And he said, no thank you, left and went and met up with Lindsay. Really? Yeah. Yeah, face in her face. Britney Spears' house hunting. Yeah, and it sucks because all like...
Her real estate agent is this kind of young-looking, kind of attractive guy. And so all the tabloids are like, Britney's new man, Britney's new man. Well, it's actually just her real estate agent showing her some houses. I guess she's tired of her home in Beverly Hills and her home in Malibu and is looking for a new one. All right, this ought to be good. Brad Pitt went on Larry King Live. Really? Can you imagine the two of them sitting together and what that must look like? They're very similar. Yeah, they must look like father and son. Like twins. And so Brad was talking about a variety of things. So first of all, they've moved to New Orleans. Him and Angelina Jolie have moved to New Orleans. And I guess to help out, cut ten. How did you get this? First of all, why did you come to New Orleans? First place. I just always had a love for this place. I mean, it's really like no other city we have. It's got its own unique vitality. It's the home of Mardi Gras. I mean, where else can you do something as silly as this? And people really enjoy it. I mean, did you come here before Katrina? Yeah, I've been here since, coming here since 94. I came here then for a film.
I lived here for about three months and really fell in love with the place. And it's been a nice home for myself and my family. Me, myself, I like the black girls. And so I was thinking about moving here once, too. They got great hookers at Harrah's. That's right. They read books at the bar. Yeah, you got to see them. They're white. And so they sit there at the bar at Harrah's, New Orleans. I'm not a hooker. Until they get kicked out. Please, Skylar. Until they're asked to leave. You gotta get there early. You gotta know the M.O. It was a misunderstanding. I didn't know reading a book at a bar was... Before they kick out the hookers, you gotta get there early. Those are the quality whores. The prostitutes. Okay. The ladies of the night. No, none of those things. The women that have sex for money. Right, you know. Streetwalkers. I just ran out of money and...
Had a good book. And needed to earn some. No, Eddie. That's not what I'm saying. I was done gambling was my point. I still wanted to gamble is what I'm saying. No, I'm not. How's a girl supposed to get money around here? Oh, I know. Show her a little leg. That's right. Shut up. It's called doubling down. That's enough. Eddie, don't leave me hanging. That's enough. Great. Brutal. Here's Brad talking about wanting more kids. Cut 14. Want more children? Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah? Yeah, we're just getting started. Four? We'll see. We'll probably crap out somewhere. I don't know. But, yeah, we're not done. Yeah, I'm leaving, Angelina. Wait a second. Depends who's cast in my new movie. Right. I don't know if I mentioned it. I've been cheating. I don't know if I'd mention that. Wow, quite an exclusive. Cut 15. How long do you want to keep on acting? I don't know. You know, I always see it as a... Really, I see it becoming less and less a focus as I get older. I think it's really more of a younger man, younger woman's game. But, you know, I'll come in and play the... Do you want to be a 65-year-old character actor someday? I'd like to drop in if I'm...
I'm still invited every few years or so. Whatever. So humble. So humble. Yeah, whatever. Wow. Humble and good looking. Very good looking. Anybody drink Metro Mint water? What? Metro Mint. I've never heard of it. I've actually had it. Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw it at Henry's one time. And I got it because it looked good. And I didn't like it because it kind of, it was too, the mint was too strong and kind of burned. Too minty. Too minty. And so it was like, I drank it, and then when I would breathe, you know, breathe, it was like, ooh, ow, it kind of burned, yeah. Well, anyway, they recalled it due to bacteria. Oh! That was a mint you were drinking. That's right. Yes, there's a bacteria. Sean, what do you think? You're a germaphobe. What do you think of this? I think that's absolutely horrendous, dude. Metro Mint. Yeah, the bacteria can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Just what you were looking for in your flavored water. Metro Sexual Mint. So, all the flavors have been affected by this recall. The company claims no illnesses have been reported. This is just a precaution. That's a lie. You think they're lying, Sean? Yes. In fact, you're lying for them. Well, no, I'm not lying.
lying. You guys are in cahoots. No, I'm not in cahoots with Metro Water or whatever. But yeah, so if there's a best before date of December 21st or earlier on December 21st 08 or earlier. December 21st 91. So you can return all that to your point of purchase. Microsoft shut down their automated chat with Santa after Santa talked dirty. Oh, come on. No. That's not Are you a ho, ho, ho? Yeah, this is weird. That's weird. Yeah, I guess there's this like automated Santa and kids were told that they could go on and over instant message, communicate with Santa and tell them what they want for Christmas and everything. Call Chris Hansen, man. Thank you. What are they IMing back to these kids? Well, so they say that... What are you doing here in the North Pole? That's right. Santa bone 69. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true, hee hee. Dear Santa. I have a letter here that I'd like to read to you. Sit down. Put the cookies down. Those are mine anyway. I have cookies in the back I'm making for you. Thank you, Santa. Comfortable. Milk there, too. So I guess somebody kept asking Santa about coming over to eat pizza and just kept repeatedly asking about eating pizza and Santa was...
Responding, you want me to eat what? And kept asking about eating pizza. And then Santa responded, it's fun to talk about oral sex, but I want to chat about something else. What? Yeah. Spokesman. for Microsoft says that the company's engineer tried to clean up Santa's vocabulary, but even after making changes to the software, the company wasn't comfortable. Wait, wait, wait. Okay, so this was automated? Yeah, that's my understanding. And Microsoft is saying that basically somebody was trying to manipulate the system to get Santa to respond with something inappropriate. Like they kept trying to ask questions to get the system. But Microsoft said... Sky just looks at Eddie. So irritated. Well, because He keeps going like... He's like nudging her. And so she gets really irritated. Like, what? And Eddie goes... He gives me the break sign. Like, you've got a break. Like, I can't get... You know, I can't see Mike. Can you quit accosting me? You're assaulting me. Yes, you're breaking my arm, you pervert. It's made out of porcelain. Stop touching my beautiful alabaster skin. Damn!
I'm trying to. I'm performing. No. Where's my rape whistle? All right. We take a quick time out. And when we come back, we've got a lot more for you. We're hanging out right now. We're hanging out at Poway Fun Bowl. We'd love to see you come out and hang out with us. You can come down here. And next, Boston Rob will be taking a trip south of the border. At the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. If you haven't been to Jared the Galleria of Jewelry yet, it just got easier. Jared is opening its newest store this Saturday at 10 a.m. in National City outside Plaza Bonita Mall. That's Jared.
When you walk into Jared, there's always someone there that greets you. When people shop at Jared, the selection and service make quite an impression. I thought the selection was really good. They have diamond earrings, diamond necklaces, diamond bracelets, white gold, yellow gold, platinum. It's hard to think of everything that they have because they do have so much. Come to the store with five times the selection of ordinary jewelry stores. Jared opens this Saturday at 10 a.m. outside Plaza Bonita Mall. Don't miss the Jared Grand Opening this Saturday at 10 a.m. in National City outside Plaza Bonita Mall next to Outback Steakhouse. 105.3 Drift. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. Well, the ride is improving slowly out here. We've got some better-looking speeds, especially out of the South Bay, both the 5 and the 805 northbound. Looking good up out of Jolivis in the National City. The 805, though, gets quite tough here once you get into Mission Valley around the 8th freeway. From there, it's a crawl up the hill.
Uh, through Kearney Mesa all the way to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. West 94 on the King Freeway, just a minor delay in the downtown now. A better looking ride. Your West 8 still bunching up just a bit from 805 to Mission Center Road now in Mission Valley. Heading south in the 15, looking much better out of Escondido. A brief delay at Via Rancho Parkway. Um, slow down again into Rancho Bernardo. A little bit tougher though from Carmel Mountain Road down to Mercy Road in Poway. It's been a tough one on the westbound 56 here this morning. For some reason, it's just still backed up from Black Mountain Road. Coming in around Japan, Esquitos, through Carmel Valley, all the way to 5. And the coaster rides, half on 5. Easing up slightly, but still slow from Lucadia Boulevard down towards Manchester. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Back to the Mikey Show, featuring Mikey. I put things off. I do like to put things off until the last minute. Eddie. I keep a log of my insults. Save that clip. I don't offer, I have to salt. Austin Robb. I got ideas, man. They're worth money. I about that. Save that clip. We'll save that clip. Broadcasting from the gutter. B-Rob Bowling Challenge continues on The Rock. Welcome back. It's 8.37. Kiefer Sutherland turned himself in yesterday to start serving his 48-day sentence for his last DUI. Woo! You can all breathe easy, guys. Brett Favre looks like he's going to be okay and play in Oakland. Oh, okay. Right on, man.
We were worried, Eddie. That was worrying you, right? Dude, I couldn't sleep. I'm sure. Eddie had a dream about a whale last night. That was another reason he couldn't sleep. It was a black and white. A lot of them. There was a lot of black and whites. We were infested. Hey, make some noise here, P1s. Got some P1s that came out to hang with us at Poway Fun Bowl and Poway on Poway Road. And it's nice to have all of them out here. I want to give a plug to P1site.com. All the folks from P1site.com came down here. And Danny makes the coolest signs. We've got to take some pictures of the signs. The picture of Zeth is pretty hysterical. We've got to thank Milt, too, at Poway Fumble for letting us come in here and invade his place. Absolutely, man. Thank you so much for letting us do that. It is now time for us, folks, to travel south of the border. It is time for Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. The origin today is Central America.
And definitely parts of Mexico. Today, Boston Rob will be eating something called tripe. He will also be eating something called cabeza. And he will also be eating something called lengua. I don't know any of that. Let me translate for you. Let me translate for you, Rob. I have had all of the things that you are about to have at one time in my life. But I am Mexican and therefore do not find this weird. You see, Vietnamese and Cambodians do not find eating an embryo of a duck that weird. Don't talk about that. They really don't. That's called balut. It's snack food there. That's right. Disgusting. What you are about to have is something that, although I will not try right now, I have tried it one time or another.
Tripe is the lining of a cow's stomach. No. Shut up. It is. I thought tripe was fish. No, no, no. Tripe is the lining of a cow's stomach. Oh, it's very chewy. How do you cook that? Oh, no. I'd say rubbery. Yeah, it is rubbery. It is rubbery. Oh, does it smell when you're cooking it? That's true. That's true. Let me read here. The lining. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me read here what you're going to be doing. Beef tripe is usually made from only the first three. of a cow's four stomach chambers. I heard the fourth was the worst, though. The fourth is pretty bad, but the first three, boy, they're... They're tasty. They are triperific. They're tripey. Nice. Unwashed or green tripe... Did you say unwashed? That's right, Skye. Unwashed or green tripe includes some of the cow's last contents. No! Oh! And it does smell very unappetizing to people, but is a favorite to many dogs and carnivores. Oh! Shut up! For human consumption, tripe must be washed and meticulously cleaned. It is called green, although its color is often brown or gray. Well, we know what that's from. Ah!
Green tripe, although unsuitable for humans, is often used in dog food. Now, Rob, you may recognize the other ingredient, cabeza, in its better or more English name, head. Oh, no. What they do is they boil the cow's head until the skin or flesh falls off. Shut your mouth. And that is called cabeza. Now... Sometimes when you're cooking the cabasa, you will get other ingredients like eye cheeks, chin, things of this nature. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. Now on to the third ingredient, lengua. That sounds dangerous. Better known as tongue. No, dude, no. Hold on.
That is right. Tongue. Yes, this is a very... I don't know. This is a... Let me tell you something, Rob. Oh, no. It is not only the cow's tongue. It's really fattening. Oh. Rob, there is so many calories. Oh, my God. And so much... Dude, so much fat. That's not what worries me, dude. Back East, you go into a deli, you always see tongue on the menu. Right. And that, dude, for me... It's finally your opportunity. No, no. You finally get a chance. You finally get a chance. It's a tongue right here. It looks like that too. Oh no. Rob, the tongue amounts to roughly 75% of all the calories of any other part of a cow. Wow. That doesn't help. It's real fattening. They say that if you take one bite of lengua, you get fat immediately. Probably oozes in your mouth. There's nothing you can do about it, Rob. You gain 20 pounds from one bite. Yeah, Rob's probably going to consume a week's worth of food in one bite. Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much. So what we've done is we've prepared you some tacos. And you're going to be eating some tacos of head...
tongue, and cow stomach. Wow. And, uh, Eddie, where are said items? They're right in front of Rob. Oh, that... Right now, they are... Oh! Oh, but they're cilantro. Yeah, we put some cilantro in there for you, Betty. Yeah, they look like little street tacos. Yeah, they look like... Emphasis on the street. That's probably because we did get these in Mexico. Oh! Really? Yeah, and then warmed up in a microwave. Yum. Authentic. Rob is staring at it. You're so lucky. That doesn't even look like... Is your mouth filling up with saliva? Yes, dude. That doesn't look like meat. It's more like meat cake. Yeah. That's because it's not meat. It's stomach, tongue, and head. Meat cake. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, I need you to walk me through this, dude. I need this. Eddie does the process of walking Rob through and trying to convince him that it'll be okay. I mean, there's the cilantro and onions, dude, but that... This is going to be so easy, dude. You're eating a taco. It's a taco. Yeah, Rob. Think of it like a taco. Get the right frame of mind. You're eating a taco. Tongue, dude. What I have in my mouth. Well...
If you were a cow. Hey, you've had weird tongues in your mouth before, bro. This won't be the first time. Right? This won't be the first time. That's helping me. That's helping me. Yeah, see? There you go. Remember that one night at Plum Crazy? Yeah. Hey. Eddie, how are we doing this? Are we taking a break or are we doing it here? Let's do it. Let's do it right here, right now. All right, Rob. I got to have my trash. Take your first tongue, head, and striped taco. Tongue, head, stomach lining. What's the first one? I don't know. Oh, so there's three separate. No, there's three separate ones. Okay. I don't have a... What'd you find? What'd you find? He looked inside the taco. It's like... It looks like pieces of brain, dude. All right. The first one is the tripe. The first one is the tripe. And it is the lining of the cow's stomach. Bro, just close your eyes. Imagine what's been there. Hey, Mike, you're not helping. All right. You're fine, Ron. Hope it's washed. It's from Mexico. He's got it. His eyes are watering. I love it. I'm mentally checking out right now. Eddie, walk me through this time. I'm watching. He's lifting it up to his mouth. He's lifting it up to his mouth. Here goes the first bite. He's taking a big bite. Immediately that didn't strike him as appetizing. There was a quick...
Stomach surge. He's making the face. He's gagging. He's gagging. He's got a trash can. Just chew and swallow. A piece is dangling from his lips. It's dangling from his lips. He shot it out of his mouth. Dangling from his lips. Keep chewing, bro. Get it down. You'll be fine. Oh, my God. The tongue is much better. Listen to the P1. My mouth is watering. I know. I know. Because it's so delicious? Oh, no, Eddie. That is not why. Quimby's hiding behind her ham it up sign. Get it down, Rob. Swallow it, dude. Making it worse. He's chewing. He's chewing. He's chewing. He's chewing. He's chewing. He's chewing. Come on. Oh, no. That almost... Oh, boy. Get that stomach lining down, bro. His stomach lining just came up. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. There you go. You got it, bro. You got it. Rob. You're almost there. Just try to think of something comforting like that taco sitting in a dirty ashtray. Come on. Get it down, Rob. You can do it. You only have two more tacos to go. Just swallow that filthy Mexican taco.
There's no FDA standards in Mexico. Wash it down with your soda, bro. Wash it down. Rob, just imagine. Rob, you can do it. Just imagine how many times that street vendor has not washed his hands. He's going to drink from his soda. Just so you know, that soda came from Mexico, too. That's not soda. There it is. There you go. Uh-oh. He's doing the spit thing. Uh-oh. Good news is, Rob, you only got two to go. Right? We're almost there. I thought that was it. Rob, you're one third of the way down. Come on. You can do it. Next up. Next up. Next up, bovine head. Next up, bovine head tacos. Come on, Rob. You can do it. He's not looking at it. He's just picking it up. Oh, it's all greasy. It's all greasy. Real greasy. Dude, that looks scrumptious. Come on, Rob. You can do it. Hopefully you got some nose in there. Get it up to your mouth. Get it up to your mouth. There you go. It's just eyelid. It's just eyelid. That got him. That got him. Eyelid. He's shaking. His hands are shaking. Come on. Chew, chew. Chew, chew. Oh, he's going over the trash can. Dude, this one tastes much, much worse. You're not. Oh, my God.
Come on, Rob. Just think of it as the inside of a cow's cheek. Think of it that way and it's not that hard. Did you get any hair? Okay, jefe. Oh, Rob. Come on. Please no. Hurry it up so we can get that stuff out of this place. Bless America. Oh, man. You got a flavor saver working there, buddy? All right. Rob, have you swallowed it? Look at the color of his face. I know it. He's like completely white. Rob, swallow it so we can get onto the lengua. That's the best one. Yeah, Rob. Swallow it so we can get to the tongue. You're good, bro. You're good. How's he doing? He's fine. He's shaking his head, closing his eyes. Rob, just try not to imagine how they gathered those heads.
Or what they cooked them in. Yeah. Try not to imagine that cold steel cauldron. That taste is like head. Literally. At least you don't have to drink the water it was cooked in. That's not onion skin that is stuck to my teeth right now. No, it isn't. It's head skin. Listen to the music. That's what she said. All right, Rob. Pick up your lingua taco. Pick it up. You're almost there, bro. I can't do this one. Just one more bite, dude. Yeah, the lengua is the one that's real fattening. I got to throw up all over my hand. It's okay, Rob. His hand's like covered. It's cool, bro. That's the one when you bite into it. I feel like a little kid that had to stay home because of the flu and I've just been throwing up on myself. Go ahead, Eddie. Well, that's the one when you bite into it. It will just ooze fat. Right. Shut up. Rob, this is the one that's going to make you gain weight. Oh, my God.
Rob, this is the one that when you bite into it, all the fat that's inside of it will burst like a starburst. Eddie, tell him to stop. Tell him to stop. Those little tiny pockets of fat will explode in your mouth. Fat equals flavor. Dude, I... Yeah, fat equals flavor and fat. You can see the fat on this. Sometimes fat equals fat. Mikey, it just looks like there's fat inside a taco. Yes. Come on, Rob. That's what it looks like. Come on. Have yourself some Lengua taco. Big bite, bro. Come on. You can do this, Rob. Big bite, Rob. One more and you're done. He's holding it in his left hand. One and done. He's picking it up. It's going to us. Don't you wimp out on that. I want a big bite, young man. Young man. Come on. It's like he's about to weight lift 500 pounds. My stomach is real weak right now. Hey, Rob, you can do it. Will you look at him shake? He's shaking so bad. It's the calorie part of it that's getting to him. No, it might be the tongue part, Mike. Tongue part, Mike. Tongue part, Mike. It might be the tongue part, Mike. Here he goes. Here he goes. Get it. Get it. Put it on the ball. Big one. I got this, Eddie. I got this. Put it on the ball. I'm not feeling good, dude. Here he goes. One more and you're done. Big one. Oh, it's a big bite.
It's a big bite. Half the taco went in his mouth. It's hanging out. He's not even chewing. He's just letting it rest in his mouth. He's just letting it rest in his mouth. He's not chewing. There's the first chew. Things exploded. Things exploded in the mouth. Things exploded in the mouth. Chew, Rob. Chew, chew, chew. Chew, chew, chew. Come on, Rob. That tastes like bad stuffing. All right. Just chew, chew, chew. Oh, my God. Rob, you've had Fat Taco before. Let's go. All right, Rob. Come on, you can do it. Come on, Rob. Come on, Rob. Chew that lingua. Oh, he's heaving. He's heaving. No, I will not look. He's heaving. No, I will not. Come on, Rob. You can get it down. Chew, chew, chew. It's tapping out. Sky's going to throw up. I just bit into a big... wad of juicy something. It wasn't me. It was like that. I don't like this bit. You know that gum that has the stuff in the middle and you bite into it and it squirts out? Oh my god. It's like a little flavor packet. I never liked this bit. I hate this bit. Sean. Sean. Sean. Don't do that. Rob, hurry up. I'm trying, Mike.
Hurry up. Drink that warm soda and let's go. I need fresh air. I need some fresh air. Come on, Rob. Eat that Mexican street taco and let's go. You got it. Rob. Swallow it. You're done. Eat that street taco that if it had a letter grade, it'd be like a G. He looks like he's going to pass out, Mikey. I may pass out. I'm done. He got it. He got it. Do you want seconds? Folks, I'll just take a few questions, then I need to get back to the kitchen. Todd, the Daily Napkin, huge night here at Rubio's. As manager, how much of tonight's success do you attribute to putting enchiladas in the lineup? Well, I think it's obvious that the enchiladas make us stronger. They've elevated our roster, and they're going to be a go-to dish. Todd, Fork and Knife News, could you tell us more specifically what these enchiladas bring to the table? Well, the char-grilled chicken, slow-roasted carnitas, and two-cheese enchiladas all have their own strengths. But I think the magic for each of them is in the sauce. Fire-roasted tomatoes, toasted chilies, garlic, onions, spices. It's a powerful combination. Yeah, Todd, flavor illustrated. You just used the words powerful and magic to describe the sauce. Todd, is the sauce really juice? Huh? Are these enchiladas juiced, Todd? How is it possible that they're this good, Todd? They are pretty yummy, Todd. For a limited time, enchiladas are back at Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill. Four delicious choices, two per plate. With Rubio's Fire Roasted Sauce, they're way beyond ordinary. My son Joey and I were out at the dunes in Glamis when we spotted this family bottomed out on a sand dune in their Chevy Silverado. My Nissan Titan had higher clearance than the Chevy, so I just hooked up some towing cables and I pulled him right off of that dune. I was proud of my Titan's V8, proud of his old man. Mossy Nissan's got the full-size truck you can count on. The American-made Nissan Titan. With its standard 317-horsepower V8 and the ability to tow up to 9,500 pounds, Titan's the perfect weekday workhorse and the ultimate weekend toy. I just wanted to tell you, you know, I called AIS and talked to a kid named Carlos out of Escondido, and they saved me like $700 a quarter on my auto insurance. $700 a quarter? Yeah. I don't know what a quarter is. That's every three months or four months? It's every six months. I don't think that's a quarter, but that's neither here nor there. All right, every six months they save you how much? $600 because I had a record when I finally got my license when I was 25 years old. I never drove before. This guy is saving $1,200 a year by switching to AIS. Yep. That's phenomenal, dude. Yeah, I think I might go get some laser icers right now with that money. You should. You might as well. Hey, listen, in all seriousness, you're writing checks for so much less every month. You can use that money on yourself in a fun way. Yeah, I appreciate it. It really helped me out. after all the crap you were talking? Sky, did you hear what he said to Eddie after it was all done? No. In the spirit of good sportsmanship? You're good, Mike. What did he say? Stop it. You're so weird. What did he say? He goes up to Eddie and he goes, hey, how do you feel about beating a guy that can't bowl? Yeah. I'm like, oh, you've got to be kidding. And we told him from the start he can't bowl. Exactly. What he said was, congratulations on beating a guy that's never bowled before. Ew. What? What's wrong with that? What a loser. Jerk. Unbelievable. That's a fact. Unbelievable. Check it. Next time you pick the sport. All right. Tinker toys. Tinker toys. Is that a sport? The low jump. Yeah. Midget bowling. Dwarf tossing myself. Went outside and got rid of some of it. Oh, man. Well, you guys know that's about the calories. Well, yeah. No, dude. I bit into that last, that luck of, no. Langua. Langua? Languisa? Well said. And bit into some fatty morsel that popped in my mouth. Okay, thank you. Yeah. That had me thinking so much about...
When I was growing up, there was always little legends in my family about stuff that had happened. My grandmother once opened a can of tomato paste and there was the end of a thumb in it. Get out of here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow. And so it was like a family legend. Do you think it was true? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, yeah. I mean, it was like a family story. Yeah. But it was true because some of my family members witnessed it. Really? Now, this was before the days of litigation and suing people. Your grandma didn't speak English, did she? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They would have sent her back to Mexico had she tried to sue. But yeah, yeah, yeah. That happened. Have any of you guys ever had any of that? Do you remember last week when I opened that granola bar? Oh, that was weird, dude. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I opened this granola bar and it looked like... Oh, Sean, you would have flipped out. Sean would not have been happy. It looked, Sean, like there was two perfectly taken bites out of it on each end. Oh, my God. I showed everybody. I'm like, look at this thing. Yeah, the thing that was strange about it, though, it was like a little jaw. That's what I was, yeah. It wasn't like a human bite was taken out of it. No, no, no. It was like a raw bite. Yeah, it was, well, I wouldn't say that tiny, but a mini-mini. But, yeah, you saw these two little bites. Like someone nibbled off of it. Oh, dude, that's freaky.
So we had our neighbors, Dom and Amy, over last week. And it was the night before we went for Rebecca's birthday to the resort. She wanted to go stay a night for her birthday. So Rebecca had laid out for my parents and her mom all of the stuff that Jake was going to eat, right? You know, so to be prepared. One of the things that she had laid out... was this little baby granola bar. It's like for infants and it looks like a little protein bar kind of thing. And our neighbor Amy comes over and sees it and immediately puts her hand up to her mouth and she goes, you guys, that's that brand I told you about. And we were like, what? And then suddenly it clicked in my mind. She had told us this story that it was the exact same brand and the exact same thing. And she opened one up. gave the little granola bar to her daughter, and her daughter was holding it and about to eat it. And right before she put it in her mouth, Amy looked at it, and there was little maggots crawling. What? From the inside of it, crawling out, and in the little foil that it had just come out of, there was little worms. Oh, shut up. That were crawling. And what was weird about it was that it had somehow been that way.
Because there was no hole in the packaging. It was somehow in there like that. Like sealed, packaged, the whole thing. So she wrote a letter to the company and they sent her a $5 coupon. Come on. Oh, wow. I would have sent them a letter back with my attorney's letterhead. Oh, my gosh. That's crazy. Hey, by the way, if you've ever had any weird thing, and I don't want brands. Yeah. Don't call me with brands because I didn't give the brand out of that. Right. But call me at 570-1053. Oates, if you're back there, screen some calls for me. I want to get people on the line that have experienced stuff like this. 570-1053, if you've ever had a weird thing happen. Ashley, you got one? Yeah. My friend, way back in the day, bit into a cracker, and there's a piece of glass in it. Hey. And it was maybe the size of a little tiny pebble. And it was a chunk of clear glass inside the cracker. She took a bite on glass in the cracker. See, now what do you do? Because you hear about people that make stuff up all the time just to try to get money. What do you do if you really... I can tell you my story, my personal story. This is from about... This happened about six months ago. I will not tell you where, but I bought a hamburger.
I was eating a hamburger and felt something that felt like a rock in my back molars, reached in with my thumb and index finger, and pulled out a pretty substantial and large piece of bone. Oh. Oh, my gosh. Must have been from the cabeza. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. All I can tell you is, all I can tell you is, it didn't really bother me. I finished the hamburger. No, you did not. Really? It didn't bother you? It didn't really bother me. Ouch. piece of bone. I realize that stuff's going to happen. If it had been a piece of glass, it really would have bothered me. Or worms. But I've got to figure, listen, when they're grinding stuff up, stuff will happen. My grandmother worked at the cannery in Gilroy and told me there was crazy stuff that would go down there. It's just like this constant motion of
conveyor belt of cans and stuff and things would fall in and what do you do? Go ahead, Rob. I got two. The first one is because of my stupidity. My mother had left this was way back in the day. She left a can of juice out. But you couldn't see through the can, you know what I mean? And this was in the mid-summer. You can't see through cans. Yeah. Didn't know that it was left out. I thought she had just... That's crazy! Yeah, it was during the time when I still didn't have my x-ray vision. At the time, I couldn't see through the can. I thought she had just put it out for me. I start pounding it. You thought it was what? I thought she had just put it out for me. I didn't know that she had put it out a day before and forgot to bring it back in. And what was it again? It was some can of juice. Okay. So I start pounding it, and it's been left out in the middle of the summer for a night. And I start feeling chunks going down. So I immediately stop, and I'm freaking out. And I pour it out, and bees were attracted to the juice. You drink bees? Yeah, and I'm allergic to bees. Rob drank bees. Another time, I got a packaged thing of chicken.
that you just pop it in the microwave, you know, you cut it out of the plastic, you pour it into a little container, you pop it in the microwave three minutes, and you're good to go. That's all you got to do. It's real simple. Cut that open, pour it out, put it in the microwave, take it out. I start to eat it, and as I start to finish it, and more and more it disappears, there's a bee in the middle of it. No, I did not eat those meat. I did not eat those meat. It probably came from the honeycomb in your stomach. Exactly. This was like a year ago that that happened to me. That's disgusting. Wow. Rob eats bees. Stop doing that. Rob likes bees. I'm allergic to them. Inside of bees. The irony. Our program director pooped a bee. Really? Yeah. She did. For real? A full bee. Are you serious? A full bee. No. And bees poop on Skye's car. Yeah, that is true. This is crazy. I hope our program director doesn't mind me telling that story on the air. Oh, you didn't clear it with her first? I forgot to clear it with her, but just in case, Shawna, if you're listening, Shawna Moran, our program director, I hope that one's okay to tell. Yeah, she actually, that was about seven years ago, and she actually IM'd me and was laughing hysterically. What?
That's normal. Yeah. That is normal. Let's take a couple calls. Let's go to line one. This is P1 Fatlow on the line. Are you there, Fatlow? Yeah, Mikey. What did you find? Well, it was in a protein bar. I opened it up, and there was worms in, like you were saying. But they had a recall of them, of a bunch of mealworms, I guess. We got into the mix or something like that. And they stayed alive somehow. But yeah, I opened it up and there they were, man. It was gross. Did you eat it? Protein? No. Yeah, that is protein. I have another story. Oh, man. Wow, look at you. One time, Microsoft, Russell, came over to the house with his wife, Amanda, and I was making pesto for us. And I poured, and thank you for the call, by the way. Hang up with line one. I poured the box of pasta into the boiling water. And there was little bugs all in it. And Russell and I had to split and go get more pasta. Oh, you just didn't strain it out? We didn't strain it out. We didn't strain it out. What a waste. But I've heard that that happens kind of regularly. You know, like those little bugs get in the flour that they use for the pasta. And you can find them in there. I've used that brand again, by the way.
I have. What does it take to turn you off? You know, not really, you know, not much. I'm not phased. I have a very resilient mind. You have that mind that goes, it happened to me once, it's not going to happen to me again. That's exactly it. And if it happened again, I would go, bad batch again. I'm just being honest. I go, another bad batch. I hope the next batch I get is a good batch. I obviously like this kind of pasta. Sure. So I'll keep trying. That's crazy. Let's go to Rocco on line five. Rocco, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. So what happened with you? So my dad walked into a convenience store and he just bought a Hot Pocket and a big soda. One of the fountain drinks, you know? And he walked out and... He just had brand new pairs of white shoes on. He bites into the hot pocket, gets about like halfway through, and he looks into it and notices that it's pitch black from mold. And then he basically drops the soda and it spills all over his brand new white shoes. Dude, that's basically like a rotting hot pocket. That's what it is. I mean, basically, you're dealing with a rotting hot pocket.
How long do you think that thing was there? Oh, dude. How long would it have had to have been there? Let's go to line four. It's P1 College Boy. Are you there? Yeah, I'm there. College Boy, what happened with you? I was about seven years old, I think, and we got back from the store. We opened up the granola bar box, and I'm eating it. About halfway through, my mom takes up my hand. I'm like, what's up? And she... Wait a minute. I do question whether or not at seven years old you said to your mom, what's up? What up? What up? Mom, what up? What up, mom? Okay. I look at the bar and it looks like it's moving. And then I look at my arm and there's tiny ants going all the way up my arm to my elbow. And so I've eaten half the bar full of tiny little ants. Oh. What is up with, like, granola protein bars? It's scaring me away from granola protein bars. I think we've got to stay away from granola bars altogether. I think you may be right. Line one is P1 Plumber. P1 Plumber, are you there? Yeah, what's up, man? This is going to teach a lesson to anybody that goes to these things. Where did this happen to you? Dude, I was a plumbing foreman running a crew, right, building houses out in North County.
And, you know, when you're way out in the hills, you can't get to, you know, a fast food joint or somewhere to eat. They bring the taco truck to you, you know. And all these guys are starving, man. The Roach Coach. Yeah, Roach Coach, dude, definitely. They don't call it the Roach Coach for nothing, my man. Okay, so I ordered a burger and some fries. And you know how sometimes when you eat your fries, you get a little burnt fry or something, you know, a little crispy thing. So I'm eating fries, and down at the bottom, there's a fried crispy roast, dude. At the bottom of the fries is a roach that got cooked in the fryer. Yeah, he fell in the fryer, dude, basically, you know. How did he taste? They don't change that oil. Protein. Catch up a ranch with that. You're saying you wouldn't have tried it, Sky? Shut up. It's already good. Shut up. It's been, like, sanitized. How dare you? Heat. And you know what, though? The worst thing about it is, is the next day, when I showed these guys that, and I was freaked out, grossed out, tormented by it, people still ordered fries, dude, the next day. No question, I would have. If I knew it was the same oil, I'd still order it. Resilient mind. Very resilient mind. It's like a beautiful mind. All right, we've got to take a break. We'll be back. Hey, make some noise, P1s. All the P1s hanging out here. Hanging out at Poway Fun Bowl. And we will be back. It's a live broadcast here. It's Rock 105.3. Yeah, yeah.

Just before Nordahl Road, kind of sitting there, not able to get out of the way, so just watch for him. Stop on to the 5, not too bad at all. Just a brief slowdown lift over here from Birmingham Drive down to Manchester.
Looking pretty nice in the South 15. Maybe a few intermittent brake lights in the Rancho Bernardo construction area. No worries at all out of the East County. South Bay is looking great for you as well. North 805, just a minor slowdown left over here out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over to 52. I'm Rick Lawrence with Brock 105.3. Tis the season. Yes. To get engaged. Ashley, are you planning on... I'm looking to propose, actually. You're going to do the proposing. Oh. So, you know... So, some lucky guy can... Getting ready to... down on one knee and do the deed. Well, that's really... Excuse me. Where should I go to get a ring, Eddie? Can you hear me? I just wanted to let Ashley know. What's up, Mike? When you propose, they don't really call that doing the deed. Doing the deed. That's a good point. All tomato, tomato. See, Ashley, if you go into Robbins Brothers, they're the world's biggest engagement ring store. They'll tell you stuff like that. They'll teach you a good way that you can do the deed. I need all the help I can get. I've never done this before. No, I know. But, yeah, I know you're really looking and hoping that, you know, it happens this year. This is the time. Yes. So if you're looking to do the deed, go into the world's biggest engagement ring store. It's Robin's Brothers. And they are located on the corner of Friars Road and Fizee. If you need directions, give them a call. Eddie, if I was going to do the deed, Rob and I would have been married two years ago. That's true. Wow. Shut up, Mike. That is uncomfortable. Shut up. For directions, give them a call.

When my hands become saturated in water, the palms get like... They look like a pond. Sean. Most of you listening right now, I don't like you. Okay, wait. I don't like you very much at all. Boston Rob. Do you guys know that if I don't write stuff on my hand, I'm an idiot? And Ashley. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I am an oyster. You keep saying it, oyster, but you know the real deal. The Mikey Show's on. Top of the morning to ya. Hey, welcome back. It's 922. Police are looking for anyone with information on a hit-and-run driver who ran down a guy outside a PB bar yesterday morning after a fight.
Who's fired up for the game tonight, huh? Thursday Night Football, Chicago and Washington. Wow. Wow. Can't wait. Can't wait. All right. Welcome back to the show. You know, Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2008. Yep. Ingrid Marie Rivera. Oh, wow. This is a lady that claims that the other women in the pageant Pepper sprayed her dress, sabotaged her makeup, and put hot pepper in her makeup. Well, I mean, when the story came out, we all felt sorry for her and thought, wow, this is really awful what they did. Well, it's kind of come out, or it's sort of been reported, that maybe nothing actually happened to her clothes or makeup at all. She made it up? And it was all sort of a made-up story. What? That's crazy. Yeah, allegedly. Well, because they then tested her evening gown for pepper spray and they didn't find the chemical that's in pepper spray. Well, here she was on the Today Show talking about that investigation. Cut 28. What was your reaction when you heard that forensics have found no sign of pepper spray on either your gowns or your makeup brush? Well, the investigation hasn't concluded. It still continues. There's more evidence. There's still evidence that
And also they have new evidence. What new evidence do they have? I can't speak much about the investigation, but the Lieutenant Hernandez and the agent Reyes is investigating the objects that were turned in and also additional analysis of them. And they've been interrogating us, the personnel of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico organization, and also myself and my family. Let's see. Investigator Hernandez. Investigator Garcia. And another guy named Jose. And these are all people working on the case. And Mr. Juarago. And Mr. Martinez. Y Esparza. Every time. If you just say people's names, it sounds legit. Or throw a statistic in there.
You know, they say that 42% of all people that claim that there was pepper spray in their dresses turn out to be incorrect. But that means 57% still correct. Now, do they have a glove you could try on? Yeah, an evening gown glove or anything. Make sure you really struggle when you try to put it on. Yeah, I can barely fit that pepper spray in my face. What? What? Okay, that doesn't make sense. She says she didn't lie. Cut 29. Did you lie about being sabotaged at that pageant? Not at all. Absolutely not. I was a sabotage. I would jeopardize more participation or the dream to become Miss Puerto Rico Universe. I would have done that. And that's why we are stressing, the national director is stressing, to make all the possible analysis and go through the profound investigation. Now we're in the next phases.
this investigation. We're in a new place. I know and I have faith in God that the truth will come over. Yeah, come over me. Please come over here, truth. Yeah. I invite you. Yeah, I say that please come over the rainbow. I sent out in the, uh, como se dice, uh, invite the truth to come over. Yeah. I was like, hey, dear truth, you should come over. Click here for yes. Yes. Click here for no. Click here for maybe. Yeah. I'm clicking on I'm a Big Fat Liar. Have you guys seen her? She is amazing. Gorgeous. Like an alien. Yeah, like alien beautiful. She didn't have to cheat. I don't know if she did. She didn't have to. She was real pretty. Maybe she didn't have a talent. Maybe she couldn't tap dance or something. Who cares? We just heard her sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Zombie. Gorgeous. Well said. Here she is saying that she's not concerned that the people don't believe her party. Cut 30. Are you concerned that some people are beginning to doubt your story? I'm not concerned because I know there's some investigation going on and I have faith in God and I trusted the police department of Puerto Rico, the superintendent, as you just mentioned. He said he knew something was going wrong.
And they're doing their job. They're investigating. They don't have anything to, nothing at all. The whole story has not even come out. You don't even know half the things they tried to do to me. Like what? Okay, let's see. Miss Sweden tried to give me AIDS. Whoa. That's terrible. Miss Germany shot me with a dart with herpes in it. Oh, no. Oh, gosh. Yeah. Oh, wow. That's awful. That's really neat. And Miss Australia tried to give me the face cancer. Oh, no. The face cancer. So, you know, they really have a lot against me. Wow. All in the Miss Venezuela pageant. That is crazy. That's weird. That is right. That is crazy. That is right. Miss Argentina, she gave me the Ebola. Wow. Yeah. She put it in my toothpaste. Oh. Wow.
And so you have to always be careful of the toilet paper, the toothpaste, anything that you use on your body. But you're better now from the AIDS and cancer and Ebola. Yeah, I, you know, took some NyQuil. Okay, good. There you go. And I just went to sleep early, and now I don't have the AIDS or the herpes. That's good. Or the Ebola. It's all gone. Miss Acapulco gave me the scurvy. Scurvy? Yeah, but I did jumping jacks. It's like that, what is it, the old saying? Feed the AIDS, starve the cold. Starve the scurvy. Feed the AIDS. What? Starve the scurvy. Okay, well. And then the old remedy to it. That works well, yeah. And a humidifier. This got pretty heated. I can't wait to see if Skye and I agree about this. This is from the TV show. The View. Our favorite. It's a discussion about a study that says more boys are given toy kitchens. There's a study that says more boys are given toy kitchens and it turns into a discussion about transgender kids after one of the co-hosts says there was a boy in her little girl's preschool class
who like to put on princess dresses from the dress-up corner. Okay. Cut 31. The teachers never really tell kids whether they're allowed or not allowed to put on different clothes, and there was a little boy in one of my children's class that used to love putting on the princess dresses. Is that Harvey Fierstein? Well, no. And she never said, you know, the teachers just let him do what he wanted to do. They came in their clothes, they had the dress-up corner, and I think that's fine. Well, I think... Yes, but I think this is the kind of thing that a teacher might just say to a parent. Not that there's anything bad about it, but we did a special last year that was so important in which we discussed transgender children. And I'm not saying this child is, but very often transgender children are children who really, boys who want to wear girls' clothes, it's the beginning. So I think this doesn't label a child, but I think it's a time for a... a teacher to say to a pat look i just think you should know about this what is she talking about transgender children dude i'm telling you sometimes i feel like i just stepped off a space machine and i got the delorean up to 88 miles an hour and i arrived in 07 and i'm like transgender kids what what is
You know, transgender people will say, yeah, I knew from the time I was a toddler that I felt like a girl inside, even though I look like a boy on the outside. So, you know, if you believe this stuff is biological, they know their whole lives that this is how they feel. Well, Skye has said she would not have an issue. With her son playing dress up at school and putting on a princess dress. And I think a boy putting on a princess dress isn't going to make him transgendered because, again, to me, I believe that's something that's biological. So either a boy's playing dress up or maybe inside he feels that he's really a woman. Sure. Now, Eddie, you're right on the same page, right? You don't mind if your son puts on a princess dress, right? Eddie's squinting at me. I take that as a no. You're not okay with the princess dress? I'm not either. And apparently neither was one of the other chicks on the show. 32. If I found that a teacher let my son put a dress on, I would be mad as all get up. I don't want my son, you know, because my son, this is what you wear. This is what your sister wears. And this is my opinion. And that's fine. But I don't want my son wearing a dress. When you get 18 and you want to wear a dress and you get out the house, you can put a dress on. I'm going to be writing that. I'm going to be writing that.
You want to be transgender when you get out the house? No, no, no. This is not a matter of choice. You know what? This is not a matter of choice. I'm his mother. He will not be wearing a dress. You know, I got to say, Barbara Walters has a very Anglo opinion. You're not going to find Mexicans or, in this case, blacks that are going to be like, oh yeah, man, my daughter, if my son wants to wear a dress, go right in. It's cool. That's the same woman who wasn't sure the world was round. Okay. For the record. For the record. All I'm telling you is, that means that, according to you then, she can't have any opinion that isn't based in ignorance. Yeah, I'm not going to trust her opinion over somebody else's opinion. Any opinion she gives is going to be ignorant from that point on. I'm kind of feeling that, yeah. No, it just loses her credibility. Yeah, exactly. That's all. Well, listen. I do not consider myself to be a dumb person. I don't want my son wearing dresses either. No, thank you. I don't think Eddie's ignorant. He don't want his son wearing dresses. You don't even have an age on that? Yes, he can start wearing dresses when he's 98. At 98 years old. All the dresses he wants. What about people that can't answer? I'm going to give you, for instance, like Dumb Chick Challenge. Why is Rob wearing a hood? I think it's to hide his cabeza. No, don't bring that up. Go ahead.
You were saying that that chick didn't know that the world was round, right? And it wasn't that she didn't know that the world was round. If you listen back to the clip, she's kind of having... I think Rob was trying to go somewhere like that. Yeah, he's trying to set us up for the dumb chick challenge. Rob was trying to go somewhere like that. You guys are strongly opinionated, but you don't know presidents, a lot of stuff like that. Well, the world is round. Oh, yeah, wait a minute. president is, I think, completely different. Wait a second. You guys have not known a lot of stuff. That means your opinions are invalid. The world is round. The world is round. That's like the sky is blue. Question for Friday? Sky is white. I'm looking at her. And again, you do not hear black families or Mexican families saying that it's okay for their sons to be wearing dresses. So you're saying it's cultural. I think it is. I think white people... It's like I told you. You're always going to see the white lady at Starbucks getting slapped by her kids and going, hey, son, that's just a way for you to show your feelings. You don't hit mommy. Don't slap mommy across the... Don't punch mommy in the face, okay? Mommy's going to put you in a timeout. Mommy's going to put you in a timeout. Stop. Mommy's going to get mad. Stop punching me in the face. Stop it, please. Stop. Please, honey. Honey, you're transgender. Stop it. Don't punch... Timmy.
Don't punch mommy in the face with your purse. Stop hitting me with your purse, Timmy. Why is that? That sounds like a Dave Chappelle thing, man. He should get a hold of it. All right, we've got to take a break. We'll be back. It's the Mikey Show live at Poway Fun Bowl. It's Rock 105.3. Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. I consider myself the perfect Mexican. Wow. Eddie. I love Christmas. Problem admitting when I'm wrong. I'm just rarely wrong. Sean. You know, I'm trouble getting gifts. Yes. Boston Rob. Keeping it petite. That's what I'm doing. That sounded hard. And Ashley. I don't get along very well. I don't think with like normal, boring people. Oh, come on. Wait a minute. It's the Mikey Show on The Rock. Welcome back. It's 942. Ashley Simpson has allegedly been told her boyfriend Pete Wentz is not welcome at the Simpson home for the holidays after he admitted to kissing guys. Okay. Our boy Sean Merriman named the ASC Defensive Player of the Week. All right, Scott, you got my attention. What's that story all about? Okay, so, you know, Ashley Simpson's boyfriend is Pete Wentz. Yeah, what now? What is that band? What boy band is he with? Yeah, what boy band? Um...
Boys kiss boys. Is that the boy band? I don't. Boys kiss boys. It's not good Charlotte. They had that hit song, You're Not Coming Home For The Holidays. It's one of those. One for two, bro. You had a great one. Hey, I'll give you that. You had a really good one earlier. Yes. Johnny D. I don't know. He's in one of those alternative, we dye our hair black boy bands. Gay Out Boy. Like Fall Out Boy, yeah. K-Out Boy. One of those. Make Out Boy. So he just did an interview with Blender Magazine where they asked him if he's ever kissed a guy. Because there's kind of been rumors out there that he's... Who asked that? Well, because there's rumors out there that he's bisexual. And he says, he has, and he said, anybody above the waist is totally fair game. Oh, my. Pardon me? Gosh. Yeah, pardon me, too. Yeah, so. Anybody? Yeah, so, you know, Joe Simpson, the Simpson father, he, you know, they're a religious family, and he doesn't go for that stuff. Oh, wait, wait, wait. They're a religious family. His daughter is Jessica Simpson. Hey, you don't have to tell me, but this is just. He's not letting her come home, either. Right.
Not if she kisses another girl. So Pete Wentz and Jessica Simpson are not allowed over. Ashley can't bring either one of them home. So he's not allowed at the house for Christmas. This is the way I would handle that if I were the dad. I would have a conversation with a guy. I think it's kind of mean to not let Ashley bring over her boyfriend. I would have a conversation. I would say, so, you know, gay out, boy. Talk to me about this article. What's going on here? You're with my daughter. What's the deal? And then press release it. Right? Yeah. That guy's unbelievable. I would say, I have nipples, Greg. Can you milk me? Sounds gay. That's what I would say to him. Okay. If that's what he said in Blender Magazine, I would say that to him. But his name is Pete, not Greg. I would say, I have from the waist up. What do you want to do with me? I am not gay. I never have been gay. I'm a man, you're a man, and where do we go from here? That's all I would say to him. Thank you. Let's do a little tone-deaf karaoke. Let's do it. Let's do it. Come on. I'm glad that there's people here right now.
to actually see those headphones Ashley's wearing that I've talked about before on the air how ridiculous those headphones were. I love those. I love those things. They're ridiculous. They're ridiculous headphones. He's making me wear them so he doesn't make the P1s that are going to play the game wear them. Quit crying for five minutes. Stop. I had to eat head earlier. And language. Yeah, fat. Give me a break over here. I'm up to 97 pounds now. Oh, no. Yeah, Nicole Richie wrote and said, you look fat. I like to bowl my weight. Are you sure? Good strategy. All right, here's what we're going to do. We're going to let people that are here at the bowling alley, here at Poway Bowl, play tone-deaf karaoke with us. I have fun news. What? I found out that Poway Fun Bowl does their own karaoke here seven nights a week. Nice. Yeah. What a fun one.
you brought that up, Ash, because I'm glad you brought that up, because I have some information on this lovely place that I wanted to mention to people. Do you have it, Sky? Yeah, no, you have it. I wanted to let some people know about some stuff that's going on, and we're going to get to some karaoke. They do, here at Poway Fun Bowl, they do karaoke in Jimmy's Lounge seven nights a week, like she said. Rock and bowl. Oh, that's fun. What is it? They play cool music, and they have a DJ. Turn out the lights. All kinds of crazy. Yeah, cool lights going. I love rock and roll. Love it. They do that Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and they do it from 9.30 to 12.30. I'll be here. And so come on down to Poway Fun Bowl. It's a great place. They were very nice and let us come down here and do our broadcast. So I want to say thank you to them. All right. Who is our first victim? Who would like to play tone deaf? Who's good at tone deaf? Come on over. Come on over. Here we go. Come on over. We got a guy here. We'll get some headphones on him. Good luck. And Rob... Shouldn't be too hard. Yeah, let him hold that. Is it a good bash now? Hold that microphone. We filed a great bash today, guys, so you're in luck. Okay. Okay, we see that every time. All right, so here's what we're going to do. Sir, we're going to play a clip and let the clip completely play. Don't say what it is until the very end. Just enjoy it. And then when the clip is done being played, I need a title or an artist for you to be able to win, okay? I got it. Eddie, what can they win? We got tickets to the Rock Before Christmas. Which one?
Very nice. I think part 14. Nice. That's my favorite part. Let's go ahead and play the first part of the clip. I will speak. That's your tone. I will tell you this. She's no worse than the actual person that sings the song. That's very good. She doesn't have any less talent than the actual person that sings the song. Thank you. What do you think, sir? Who was that? I'm going to have to kind of work this out. It's confused between one of two. It's either Alvin and the Chipmunks. Oh, okay. Or... Madonna. I'm going to have to go with Madonna. Hey, Ashley. Be nice, Ash. Be nice. You can only be mean to Zef. And Rob. And me. And Eddie. And Sean and Sky. But besides that, you're not allowed to be mean to anybody. Alright, next up is P1 Talon. P1 Talon is ready to give it a shot. Talon, you know how the game's played, right? Yes, I do. Talon is a major P1. He is a... Hall of Famer.
Yeah, he's a Hall of Famer in the P1 Army. Good man. All right, Talon, you ready to go? I hope so. Here's your clip. Good luck, my friend. Here's your clip. The only family that she's ever had is her seven horny brothers and her drunk-ass dad. He needed money, so he put her on the street and everything was going fine until the day she left. Help me, are you sad? Wanna shoot your dad? I'll do anything I can. Title or artist, Talon? I... I feel so horrible for not knowing for sure. I want to say sublime. Oh, you are correct. Very good job. Very good job, Taylor. All right, who's next? Who wants to play tone-deaf karaoke? Right here. Let's get the guy with the bandana. Let's get the guy with the bandana. Okay, calm down. You're sweating up a storm. Bandana guy, what is your name? Rakista. Rakista. Is that correct? Rakista? Yes. What does that name mean, Rakista? What does that mean? Just a name. Just a name. It's like Brian. What it to you. Okay. Okay, Rakista, we're going to play a clip for you. You know how the game is played? Yes. Play a clip. When it's done, you let it finish, and then you give us a title or an artist to win. Here we go.
That was it for real? That was a clip? I think she said, give me a three, guys. That's a toughie, man. I'm not going to lie. Melchiatas, do you know what that song was? Can you give me a title or artist? I couldn't even decipher one single word of what that person was singing. I could not either. In fact, I'm going to go ahead and just have to play the real artist. Go ahead. Oh, my God. You've got to be kidding me. That's Korn. That is Korn. That is Korn. Okay, now let's hear Ashley's again. It's like you had a scrunchie on your tongue. Can I go now? Yes, you can. Who else wants to play Tone Dap? You want to play?
All right, come on up. Come on up, sir. We're here at Poway Fun Bowl. This is our last one. Oh, I hope it was as good as that last one. I know it. Hey, steady. What is your name, sir? P1 Gary. P1 Gary. All right, Gary, let the whole clip play, then give me a title or else to win. Here we go. Tomorrow comes one desire to take me. It was true. It ain't me. Goodbye. Because, girl, you know I've got to go. And, Lord, I wish it wasn't so. Okay. Uh. That was so good. Can you give me a title or artist on that one? Thank you, Sky. That was another hard one. I'm sorry. That was Eagle Eye Cherry Save Tonight. Let's hear the clip. No, it wasn't. I don't know that that's your tone. One for three isn't bad. No, that's two for three. We got two. We got two out of four. Half of them. That's cool. Are we good with time, Eddie? No, we got a break. We got a break. All right. We'll be back at Poway Fumble right after this. It's Rock 105.3.
Say what you have to say and shut up. I really don't want to gamble when I choose a special Christmas gift for my wife, Tom. What man does, Dylan? Mossy Nissan presents Tales of the Titan. My son Joey and I were out at the dunes in Glamis when we spotted this family bottomed out on a sand dune in their Chevy Silverado. Mossy Nissan's got the full-size truck you can count on. The American-made Nissan Titan. And right now, Mossy Nissan has a huge selection of Titans in stock, all with low Mossy value prices. Todd, the Daily Napkin, huge night here at Rubio's. As manager, how much of tonight's success do you attribute to putting enchiladas in the lineup? Could you tell us more specifically what these enchiladas bring to the table? Well, the char-grilled chicken, slow-roasted carnitas, and two-cheese enchiladas all have their own strengths. With Rubio's fire-roasted sauce, they're way beyond ordinary. And they're only at Rubio's. Rock1053.com. Listen live. Furnished by mattress discounters.
