The Mikey Show on Rock 105.3 delivered a mix of comedy, sports debate, and listener participation. Zeth provided memorable exaggerations about a homeless person with a knife and a squirrel rape scenario that unraveled into a simple misunderstanding. In a recurring bit, Zeth spent an hour-and-a-half searching for a CD track listing that Eddie had already emailed him, highlighting the show's dysfunctional yet endearing dynamic. The team announced a 'Best of the Mikey Show' CD called 'Furry Up,' featuring everyone dressed as furries, with Sean notably absent due to flight anxiety. A raucous celebrity look-alike game and an intense Ashley Pyramid challenge rounded out the episode, with callers suggesting figures like Brett Favre and Matthew McConaughey while Ashley struggled to communicate items to Sky.
What happened, in order
Zeth's Knife and Squirrel Tale
Zeth exaggerates that a homeless person stuck a knife down his throat and he was raped by a squirrel, though discussion reveals he only saw a homeless man with a knife and a squirrel on a telephone wire.
Zeth's CD Track Listing Debacle
Zeth attempts to recreate Eddie's CD track listing, spending about an hour-and-a-half looking up lyrics and show details, only to realize Eddie had already emailed the complete list to him.
Zeth's Hour-Long Search
Zeth works on the track listing independently, unaware that Eddie had sent it days prior, and later checks his email to find it was already there, causing a dysfunctional moment about not calling for help.
Bubble Gum in Egg Sandwich
A fast food breakfast sandwich contained a piece of chewed bubble gum, which ruined the eater's day and sparked a discussion on mind resilience and whether one could continue eating after such a discovery.
Gambling vs Wife Time Debate
A caller gambles poker a few times a week winning thousands, but his wife insists they spend more time together, leading to a debate on compromise, vices, and whether the gambling habit is justifiable.
Best of CD Furry Up Announcement
Mikey announces the Best of the Mikey Show CD titled 'Furry Up,' featuring the team dressed as furries in line at a concession stand, with one guy in a panda suit holding up the whole line.
Furry Up CD Details
The CD's artwork and concept are explained, including Sean's decision not to fly down for the photo shoot due to fear of recirculated air, and the panda suit mix-up where someone else was underneath.
Celebrity Look-Alike Game Start
Mikey asks who each would look like if they could be any celebrity, launching a long, humorous segment with callers suggesting figures like Brett Favre, Bill Gates, and Matthew McConaughey.
Look-Alike Continues
Callers suggest celebrities such as Miss Puerto Rico, Matthew McConaughey, Jerry Mathers, and Howard Stern, with comedic debate over looks, ruggedness, and personal preferences.
Ashley Pyramid Game Start
Mikey introduces the Ashley Pyramid game where Ashley must communicate five things to Sky within 60 seconds, starting with Marilyn Monroe as the first item.

It is 6-0-5. We have quite the storm moving in today. A flash flood warning is in effect until tomorrow night. It was an injury-filled game last night, but Washington pulled out a win over Chicago 24-16. All right, let's get this thing rolling. It is Friday. It's probably going to be a weird day on the roads. I've got to be careful. I'm sure it's already weird. I saw this person drive by me on the road this morning. First of all, I'm on a... I'm on an off-ramp, right? Not an off-ramp, but a freeway exchange from one freeway to the other. And it's a big, looping left turn, you know? And I'm behind a semi-truck that's going about six miles an hour. And it's raining. And so I figure, I know I can go faster than six miles an hour, but I'm driving slower because it's raining. So I move into the other lane to...
Move around it. And I can't get into the other lane because there's a Mitsubishi SUV barreling onto the same interchange and passes us both. And then I move into the lane to move past the semi truck. And I see this guy. He's going 77 miles an hour or so around that turn. And then on to the 52 east. Just, and I'm like, well, if you get into an accident there, guy, I mean, how do you not connect rain and speed? Right. You know, and I'm afraid driving 55, 60 miles an hour. I'm freaked out about it. So, I mean, listen, just go a little slower on the rain days. Yes, guy. I did drive slower this morning. What, 80 instead of?
No. Sky, do you still drive fast? You shouldn't. You can get in an accident if you drive fast. I know. I know. I drive slower. Oh, no. Sky, you really have to slow it down, like, way more. You really do. For real. Okay. On a straightaway, on the 15 this morning, what would be the appropriate speed for you? I'll tell you. I'll tell you. I believe this. You have to base it on, like, what kind of car you're driving. Especially if you're driving a big, luggy kind of an SUV or whatever. You're a vehicle I would be careful in. Well, I drive the Civic. Oh, you do? Yeah, that's my commuter car. I would say you're probably okay with that rain out there at, some people are going to think this is crazy for me to say this fast, but I think you're probably okay at 60. But see, this is what I think. I think you've got to be behind the wheel. I would have to be driving that car and feel the car. I agree. Because you can feel a car's suspension. You can feel what it feels like. That look told me she ain't going 60, 65. I was doing between 65 and 70 this morning. That is fast. A little fast. It is. A little bit. I'd back it down a little bit. I'd back it down a little bit.
Once you start hydroplaning, you have no control over the car. Oh, yeah. And I wouldn't, yeah. I wouldn't do that. Well, no. I'm not a hydroplaner. You can feel it. You can feel it. Oh, no. That's the thing. Wait, wait, wait. Sky, that's the thing. When hydroplaning occurs, it happens because people thought they were traveling at a safe speed. I know. You immediately take your foot off the gas. You slow down. That is, yes. That is what I would like you to do. I would like you to immediately take your foot off the gas and slow down. Hey, just keep it up slow traffic, man. Oh. Just telling you. Not when it's raining. You're getting in trouble, Skye. I care about you. I don't want you to get in an accident. I felt completely safe. This is no shame on you. This is a I want to keep you safe. Well, thank you. I appreciate that, but I was all good. I'm doing shame on you, though. Oh, shut up. Yeah. Get your foot off that thing. Lead foot. I don't even know how Sean has... Because he knows you. And have you guys ever been in the car with Sean where he drives like it's a freaking carnival ride? That's not in the rain. I drive safely in the rain. It's okay to go 60 miles per hour in a parking lot ripping around corners. Wait a minute. Now, hang on a second. That's like so dangerous what he would do. Let's discuss. That was so dangerous. Let's discuss. Okay. What you're talking about is shenanigans.
And yes, dangerous shenanigans. No doubt about it. Sean is guilty of being a 17 year old male. Yes. With, you know, shenanigans. He's like that. Now, a lot of us guys are like that. We're guilty of shenanigans. Dangerous. Dangerous shenanigans. No doubt about it. What I'm talking about right now is your every single human being needing to be careful during a rain situation. You're somehow putting... You're mixing the two of them up. Well, yeah, but isn't... Well, because she wants to win an argument. Isn't it hypocrisy? I'm not fighting you. But isn't it hypocrisy? It would be hypocrisy if Sean drives in the rain fast. But I don't know that he does because I've never been with him when it's raining. I don't. I'm afraid. That's all I'm saying. All I'm saying is hypocrisy. Thank you. Oh. We both win. It's too early. It's Friday. Let it go. Yeah, Sean, let it go. I'm not fighting you! I'm not. Well, good morning, everyone. It's the Mikey Show. My name's Sky. What's happening? What you see is what you get. That's all I'm telling you. What is the name of that weather guy on NBC 739? Whitney? Whitney Southwick. Yeah. Wait till you guys get a load of him this morning out there in the rain with the wind blowing. Oh, no.
And the hair and the wind blowing. It's unnecessary. For me to say it or for him to be in it? No. Why do we have to put weathermen in like weather? Right. We get it. Why? It's raining out. I guess now that I'm thinking about it, both things, completely unnecessary. He doesn't need to be out there. And what am I pointing it out for? But it is pretty crazy here. That's all I'm saying. My name's Mikey. I'm 37. I'm the host of the show that you like, The Mikey Show. Eddie is our producer and sports guy. He is 34 years old. Sky is our sound effects girl. Do it. What's happening? Sky's our sound effects. Out of all the thousands, I'd be your favorite. Sky's our news girl. She's 30. Hit it.
Sean is our sound effects guy. 37 years old. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 24. No, I'm the news girl. That's right. No, that's Rob. I'm the sports person. There you go. Rob is our phone screener. A mini-mini. Email screener. He is? Food taster. Food taster? That's right. He tastes food. Okay. Weird stuff on Thursdays. That's what he does. So it's not poison for the king, Mikey. That's right. This seems suitable for your palate. Safe to the touch. And finally, Zeth. Eddie, what did you roll your eyes for? Oh. This guy. Oh, good grief. Zeth is our, he's the latest guy to join the show. Hey.
Ben's dead, baby. He's 22 years old. Lovable guy. He is a lovable guy. You're alright by me, Seth. Thanks, Mikey. That doesn't say a lot on the air. It's kind of like Rob. Two of them. They don't really say a lot. I have notes. I take notes before the show. I take notes of things that we should touch on that have to do with each of us. And they're very specific, my notes. One of the things I want to talk about today is Sean losing his wedding ring for like a year and a half and finally finding it and where it was and all that. One of the things I want to talk about today is the fact that Ash and Zeth are going to be going to do something later today that is interesting. And then I have a note that just says, Zeth is weird. And it's something for me to talk about. Because he did something that was so strange. So I'll talk about that a little bit later on.
That's pretty cool. And Zeth does this thing. Let me turn his mic back on. I just turned it off. I'm going to turn it back on. Zeth does this thing where he does it exaggerate. I think that he does this exaggeration thing because he feels that he needs to make a powerful contribution. And so he will exaggerate whatever because he feels if he just gives us the regular deal, I'll be like, oh boy, whatever. Which I want the more regular. real deal than I do the exaggeration. He'll go, Seth, did anything happen to you yesterday? And he'll go, yesterday, he'll go, yep. Yesterday, a homeless person stuck a knife down my throat. No way. Seth, did anything happen yesterday? Yeah. Yesterday, I was raped by a squirrel. And then you talk to him about it, and you realize he saw a homeless guy with a knife, and there was a squirrel running across a telephone wire on his way to rape me.
Yeah. Oh, he did? You're like, well, how did he rape you? He'd be like, ran right past my feet. Just freaked out. I thought you said it raped you. You're telling me a big fat lie. Well, you know. Practically. Practically, he did. I'd take a shower. Came real close. Love the guy. We got two people sitting in the studio that won their way into the studio through a P1 trivia. Cool. That's right. Let's see. One of them is... P1 Adrian, who goes by P1 Naked, 26 years old, administrative assistant. And how did you do it, P1 Naked? How did you get the day off? I just asked for it. They said, yeah? Right up to the mic, guys. When you talk, you got to go right up to that microphone. I just asked for it, and he said, yeah. That's a nice boss. Well, I told him the truth. That's cool. Talk about it a lot and stuff. See, that works. See, Seth? Wait.
It says here that P1 Naked actually got out of a ticket one time because a cop was a P1. Whoa. Really? How did that happen? This was about, let's say, six months ago. And I got pulled over because my tags were expired. Right up to that mic, bro. I didn't pay my tags, so they were expired. Right. They pulled me over, but I had my P1, my bumper sticker on there. Yeah. So he came up, said registration, license, and everything. And while he was looking at it, he asked me, so do you listen to Rock 105.3? Right. And I'm like, yeah. I was like, I just noticed your sticker and stuff. I was like, oh, really cool. I was like, do you listen to it? And he said, yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't want to ask you a P1 or just, because I didn't want a ticket. Right. I just wanted him to leave. Right, right. So he said, yeah, yeah. He said, P1 Carlos, I think his name is. I don't remember really well, but yeah. So he said, I'm going to let you off for the morning. So he said, P1 whatever. Yeah, well, I asked him. Finally. Okay. If, like, do you listen to the mic show, are you P1? Right, right. And he said, yeah, P1 calls, and he said he's called a few times. How about that? Talked to you guys and stuff like that. We do. That's cool. Awesome. Hey, P1 Cop, if you're listening, that was a nice thing to do. Yep. Awesome. Very nice of you to do. Look at that, P1s. There's just so many reasons to be a P1. Seriously. And then P1 Jerry is in here. I actually invited Jerry. Oh. And I met him in the parking lot of the Rock Church.
Guy does security. And a really nice guy. Really cool guy. And yeah, let him come in here and hang out. How you doing, man? I'm doing good, Mikey. Thank you for inviting me. Yeah, now how'd you get to date? What do you do for a living? Heavy equipment operator. So I had no choice. The rain. Oh. I got to stay home. But my boss is a P1 also. And I told him, hey, I ran into Mikey and he invited me. Is there, you know, if I get a Friday to go in there, can I go? And he goes, yeah, yeah, totally. Just let me know so I can listen. Oh, cool. When you do the heavy equipment operator stuff, do you have to go to a place to learn how to do that, or is it hands-on? It'd be nice if they did that, but no, I grew up in the business. My dad was a heavy equipment operator. I started from the ground up as a laborer, and then from there got onto pieces of equipment and eventually became like a professional operator. How long was it on those things until it didn't freak you out anymore? You know what's really weird is I finally got my... Confidence. Yeah. I finally got my confidence. Probably when I hit about 30 years old, I'd been doing it for about 10 years. I did a lot of rental work, so every day was different. And after a while, you just... I don't know. It's probably how you guys do your job. You just do it, and you don't think about it anymore. And that's when I became pretty solid in what I was doing. Doesn't freak me out at all. Every time I see those things, I go...
that would that'd be the most intimidating thing in the world to be on those big old things moving big giant stuff around and thinking what if i mess this up it's just a trip it was crazy out at the ramona fires after the ramona fires i got to work out there was uh sd genie uh and i was running a bulldozer uh making new roads for them and uh we got way out there where there was a couple there was a couple situations that were kind of sketchy but You look at the big picture, you're helping out people, and it's like I always love Tonka toys, and basically I get paid to play with Tonka toys. That's pretty cool, man. That's cool. Well, thanks, man. Thanks for coming in. Thank you for having me. You got it. 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us beginning and end of every show. With open phones, you can call about whatever you want. You can ask questions, talk about movies coming out today, talk about anything that you want to. Just give us a call. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, how you guys doing? Good. Is this P1 Julian? Yes, it is. What's up, dude? Hey, my cousin is the quarterback for the Poway High football team, and they're playing in the CIF finals tonight down at Qualcomm. Just thought I'd let you guys know and then give a little shout-out to him. Awesome. Is his name Matt Sorensen? No. Saracen. Saracen. Matt Saracen. Well said. Tynan Murray. Tynan Murray.
Yeah, they've gotten undefeated on the year for the first time in school history, and they have yet to be scored on in the playoffs. Is Riggins their fullback? No, a guy named Richard Dooley is their running back. Don't give me a rim shot. How dare you? I'm thinking of the Dillon Panthers. This is Poway's team. What's the running back for that team? Smash? Smash Williams. Smash Williams. Is he the tailback? Yeah, might as well be. It's Dylan Panthers. Let me tell you something, dude, and I mean this. I mean this with all my heart. I want you to listen to me. This is your... Did you say that this is your son that we're talking about? This is my cousin. Your cousin. Yeah. All right. I want you to... Are you going to see him today? Yeah, I'll probably see him before the game at some time. I want you to grab him by the shoulders at some point today, and I want you to look him right into his eyes, all right? Look at his face! And I want you to say to him, clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose. Did you come up with that yourself? I just thought of it right now, and I thought, why keep that? Share it. Give it away. Give it away. I should be able to do that for you. There you go, bro. Thank you very much. That RBV team's a good team, though, man. RBD? RBV. RBV is good.
Rancho Bernardo Valley. No, Rancho Buena Vista. Rancho Cucca Villa. Stop. Rancho Valle Bleu. What if, though? What if? I don't think that would be... P1 Humble Gumbel is on the line. Yeah, finally. What's up, Humble Gumbel? I was wondering if the Oracle saw the most exciting contest last night during the Redskins of Washington, D.C. Heirs of Chicago. That's right. Part of my fireplace smoking my pipe. I would be mesmerized by Gumbles and Collinsworth's flyer remarks. That's right. Did you watch the game with your smoking jacket on? I'm a Redskins fan, and that was, even though we won, and I guess mathematically we're still in the playoffs, that was a nightmare to watch. How many mistakes did Gumble make last night? Oh, I know it. Really? I heard Collinsworth say, and unflawlessly, something.
And then he totally contradicted what he said. He was like, without any flaw, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then said flawlessly, he could. I don't know what you mean. My favorite thing was when he called the field goal good and then goes, oh, my bad. My bad. Oh, my bad. Shut up. My bad. I paused it and I go, honey, Brian Gumbel just said my bad. It was great. I had that clip. So terrible. He has to stay up with current slang for the youth. Yeah. There you go. And then at one point, he puts it, you know, they have a shot of him and Collinsworth in the booth. Right. And he's looking at his notes, puts his glasses on, takes them off. And I'm like, okay, here comes a great point. And he goes, I actually had to put my peepers on there. I'm like, what am I watching? Oh, my God. Oh, my. Yeah, and he sucked it. He had a cough drop. Here's a great one. Oh, my. Please. And he was like, oh, why don't you speak a little more clearly? And Brian Gumbel was like, oh, sorry, I'm trying to be quiet with this cough drop clicking on my chiclet. That is nuts. That was crazy. Such a bizarre game broadcast. Sean, do you get DirecTV? I do. We got to have you start taping some of these broadcasts because they're funny. Yeah, what's it on? It's on Channel 212, the NFL Network. I don't know.
Is that a pay network? No. Okay, cool. No, it comes with the... Well, do you have to have something, Eddie? I don't... I don't think you do. If you get DirecTV, I think you got it. Awesome. But, no, what I thought was interesting last night, it kind of made me take pause when I heard it. Jason Campbell, the quarterback for the Washington Redskins, he got injured pretty bad last night. Hurt his knee. And his dad was on the sideline. Upset. Scared. Worried about... His son. And Clinton Portis, the running back for the Washington Redskins, walked over to him, put his arm on his shoulder, and said, he's going to be okay. And Chris Collinsworth was telling this story. And Bryant Gumbel goes, don't really know where Portis got his MD, but okay. And I go, that was weird.
Dude. I'm telling you, that NFL Network broadcast is the strangest. It's like going into, like, bizarro sports world. That's crazy. Every week, it's like bizarro sports world. And then, you know, I watch the pregame and the halftime show and stuff like that, and Marshall Falk, who, you know, I'm a fan of Marshall Falk, but that guy cannot put a sentence together to save his life. And I'm like, wow. How is he on a broadcast? I haven't really seen him. He cannot talk. Really? He cannot talk. It is brutal. Well, it's the same thing with Shannon Sharp. There was a big write-up in AOL about certain guys that are in broadcasting that you go, what's the deal? What is the deal? And Michael Irvin still without a job. That's crazy. Yeah, Michael Irvin is phenomenal. He's phenomenal. You might not agree with what he says, but he is entertainment. Yes, I agree with that. And I've always liked Shannon Sharp's brother, Sterling Sharp. I've always thought he's really smart. I like points that he makes. He'll make points that I go, hmm, didn't think of that. That's pretty good. And where is he? Maybe he's doing something. He's on the NFL Network too, but not on a regular basis. I don't get it. I would have loved to have heard Michael Irvin there last night. Yeah.
He would have, like, cut through all the clutter. Man, taking them glasses off and putting them back on. And talking about peepers. And that man down there, he just trying to comfort another man. Dumb-dumb. That would have been great. P1 Steve. Yeah, hey, I just wanted to know if Seth got the CD track list done. Now, it's funny. You just asked a question that is what inspired my note. Zeth is weird. That is a far out question. Let me turn Zeth's mic back on. Oh, wait. Zeth, would you like to answer P1 Steve's question? Steve, listen off the air. What's the question Steve's asking is, Eddie made a phenomenal CD of some of Eddie's favorite Christmas music. And I said, hey, this is a pretty good CD. We should burn it and give it away to listeners this week.
And Eddie had made on his computer a nice CD cover. It had Christmas-looking stuff in the background, and then it had the track listing. And I said to Zeth, I want you to do something similar. I know you can't do the exact same thing, but do something similar. And the next day, it wasn't done. We asked Zeth why, and Zeth said, I thought Eddie was too busy to get the track listing from him. Hey, hey, listen. I'm sure Eddie appreciates that. He's busy, and he didn't want to be bothered with track listings and whatnot. Okay. So the question is, Zeth, is it now done? Did you do it? And what happened with it? It's right here on my screen. You can see it. I have it turned your way. Oh, look at that. It's beautiful. Where's the actual CD? The CDs are right here. I need a colored printer to print it out. Otherwise, it won't show up right. But I'd like to, you know, before I even start with the story, say I am fully aware that I am an idiot. Okay.
I do not enjoy bothering any of you while you're away from work. This is a fact. I'll wait until he's done to address it all. This is pathetic. Go ahead. So I work on this track listing. I have to look up the lyrics to the songs, find out what show they were on, this and that. I worked on it for quite a while, probably about an hour and a half, and then I realized Eddie had sent me an email with all the track listings already in it. I'm such an idiot. Well, I would just like to say, Seth, thank you for being so good-hearted and thinking about us when we're not here. Imagine the fury that any and all of us would go through if we looked at our caller ID and saw that it was you. We would take our phone and throw it across the room. How dare he call me in my private time? The nerve on him! The nerve on this guy. This guy I think he is. Who does he think he is?
I probably would have just answered the phone like this. I probably would have just gone, what do you want? How'd you get this number? Yeah, first of all, how'd you get this number? And second of all, what do you want? So thank you for not doing, you know, putting me through it. Even though I've told you a million times you can call me for any reason, anytime. I told him that too. Anytime you can call me. You can call me at 2 o'clock in the morning. No. You can call me. Anytime. Personal issue, work issue. Personal issue. I think we could all say that. I care about you, bro. Call me. Right. I want to. Stop calling me. I thought you could be giving Jake. No. So, you know, about 4 o'clock rolls around yesterday, and it dawns on me, Seth never asked me about those pop listings. And I go...
this guy's going to get in a lot of trouble. Oh, no. And so I write him, and I'm like, dude, do you want to get in trouble? I mean, this was important to Mikey. You know, here you go. Oh, wait a minute. When he says that he realized that you had already emailed it to him, you emailed it to him yesterday at four? Yeah. Zach! Well, wait a minute. Let me explain. Here, let me explain the way I thought the story went down. Oh, no. What I thought I was hearing was Zeth yesterday went to do it and thought to himself, oh, I don't have the track listing. Wait a minute here. And then went, oh, yeah. Yes, I do. Eddie's already emailed it to me. He did that a couple days ago. I've got it. I'll just use it here. No, no, no. What actually happened was Eddie remembered and emailed it to him. And then he went, oh, yeah, I have to do this.
Well, Zeph is saying he remembered that he had to do it, did it, and then checked his email and saw that I already had sent it to him. Okay, okay. Because he didn't want to bother any of us, so that's why he spent an hour and a half searching for the song titles on his own. When a simple email or phone call to me, it would have been done in two seconds, he chose to do it an hour and a half on his own. It's just weird. That's a lot of work. Especially being that we've talked about it the last couple days. Like, this needs to be done. Like, why would you not call me, Zeth? You know what, Zeth? Don't be afraid. Maybe you're afraid. Yeah. Eddie scares me. Don't be. Why? Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. And if you ever get in a situation where you think Eddie's going to be mad at me, call me. And I'll call Eddie. And it'll be fine. Why are you making me out to be like the a-hole? I'm not a jerk. I didn't. You know, this needs to be done. I wouldn't yell at him. I understand. But if he is afraid, that's his feeling. When have I ever gotten mad at Zeth? That's Ashley. That's not my job. I don't know. But if you're ever afraid, call me. We'll get everything figured out. It'll all work out. You'll be good to go.
We're so dysfunctional. How are we going to now? I love it so much. How are we going to print that thing and get it? Yeah, do we have a color printer in the building? Yeah, there's one upstairs. I just need to talk to somebody up there and find out what number it is. Cool. It'll be done today, Mike. Right, Seth? Right. And then we'll pass the savings on to you, the listener, the P1. We'll pass it on to you. P1 Jessie? Hey, I just had a fun fact for you guys. You're all Star Wars fans. My two-year-old, has switched over from asking to watch Magical School Bus to coming in and asking to watch Star Wars last night. And we watched Star Wars Episode 3, Revenge of the Sith. Really? We now have gone out. This happened the night before, like, the night before yesterday. We have now gone out to Walmart and got a Star Wars, like, with those glow swords and everything. So, yeah, he's crossed the picket line into, like, being a man. And he's how old?
He's two and a half. Oh, my gosh. Eddie, how old were you when you liked... I don't know who even brought it up for him. Eddie, how old were you when you liked Star Wars for the first time? Like, how old were you? Four. See, I was seven, and the reason I didn't like it is because I didn't understand it. I didn't understand all the words, and I didn't understand what was going on, and so I didn't like it. But every kid, like, the more I hear, kids like Star Wars. young. Maybe I might have had a better chance if I would have been younger and it wouldn't have been a thing where I was trying to understand it. I just would have liked all the stuff going on. By seven, I was into investigative reports and, you know, I had already moved on to Rod Serling's night gallery and so I was looking for a, you know, a depth of a story that I could understand, comprehend, and somehow have an interpersonal relationship with.
And, you know, I didn't understand the word Wookie. And that's why I had a hard time. But that is awesome that your kid is into it. I'm going to start getting Jake some Star Wars. Star Wars. So they can battle with the little swords and everything. Swords. Have a great day, you guys. Thank you very much. Not a sword. It's okay, Eddie. It is not a sword. You know what she meant. But then they didn't bring me back for three years now. So tonight I'm going to try to suck. Maybe they'll get me back next year.
I don't really like beer. I like to have a Jack and Coke, but they won't let us have it back there. One time I had a Jack and Coke, it had a lime in it, and I saw that the lime was floating. That's good news, man. Next time I'm on a boat and it capsizes, I will reach for a lime. I'll be water skiing without a light preserver on. People will say, what the hell? And I'll pull out a lime. And a lemon too. I'm saved by the buoyancy of citrus. Uh, Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. What is your name, please? Brittany. Brittany, how are you? I'm good. How are you? I'm good. I just wanted to call and tell you about my AIS story. I called AIS, and I was paying $14.25 every six months for my audio insurance, and now they have me at $337 every six months. Okay.
So they saved me a little over $2,000 a year. And also, I didn't even have to go in to take pictures of my car. He faxed me all the information. I signed it, faxed it back, and it was done. I did that, too. That's awesome. $2,000, she said. The phone number is 1-800-777-4AIS. This girl's story could be your story. Why would you pay more if you don't have to? You got a good driving record or a bad driving record? No. I had a DUI five years ago. I just got a speeding ticket. I got a speeding ticket two years ago, and then I just got a ticket for running a red light. So there you go, 1-800-777-4AIS. Thank you, Brittany. Thank you. Bye. This ride is going to be a rough one here. We've got the rain and the sick conditions and just wreaking havoc already. Let's get out of the South Bay right now. There's 805 Northbound. It's just a struggle out of Chula Vista all the way up into North Park, Mission Valley. More heavy traffic out of Kearney Mesa up towards Governor Drive. They go in Triangle. Westbound is out of the 94. That's got some slow stuff now from Massachusetts at Lemon Grove. Those breaklights stay with you off and on all the way into downtown. Westbound 8 of the East County. You've got pockets of sewing here in the Cajon Valley. Again, over the Grossmont Summit in towards La Mesa. Off and on from the College area all the way in towards the Q here in Mission Valley. Northbound 15 got hit with a bad crash here near Friars Road this morning. That has backed up traffic quite heavily out of City Heights and a traffic alert in effect for that freeway. South 15, that's bumper to bumper out of Escondido. From the 78, pretty much in and out of Rancho Bernardo into Poway. And the coastal rides southbound 5, suffering through Oceanside, then again from La Costa all the way to Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Cricket Wireless, it's the greatest. They have so many reasons that they've given you for you to be switching to cricket and giving up your old wireless company. The old wireless company wants to keep you in contracts, release the chains that bind you. Please. Take off the handcuffs.
You don't need to be in a contract. You don't want to be in a contract. Get done with that and switch over to Cricket where you don't have a contract and your first month is free when you sign up for them. Yeah, the contract is for the wireless company to keep you chained to them so you can't... basically escape you know but with cricket they are so confident in the service they provide you they don't need to keep you shackled they know you're going to want to stick around because what they're giving you is the goods i just like how predictable it is you know you know the price that you're going to pay a month and it's not like oh well i'm over i have overage and i have too many texts and blah blah blah it's like everything's free you know what your plan is you can you can uh you know plan out what your bills are going to be it's just nice man Sky, what's the website over there? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I put things off. I do like to put things off until the last minute. Eddie. I keep a log of my insults. That must be a pretty long log. That's what she said. Sky. I was throwing weed when I... Save that clip. Sean. I don't often drink milk, but when I do, I have to salt it. Boston Rob.
I got ideas, man. They're worth money. And Ashley. I don't know anything about that. Save that clip. Save that clip. You will save that clip. Drive slower. Be careful. It is 645. The Grammy nominations were announced yesterday. Kanye West is leading the pack with eight nominations. Wes Miles signs an extension with LSU. Looks like he's not headed to Michigan. D1 Corey. Good morning, Mikey. What is up, dude? How are you doing? Good. Just wanted to congratulate the Oracle on his win yesterday. It was awesome to watch. Oh, thank you. What was the final score, Eddie? 131 to 98. That's not close. That is not close. And I goofed around the last two frames. It wasn't like... In his last frame, Eddie did it with his eyes closed. I mean, not to rub it in or anything. That's all right. I did do it with his eyes closed. It wasn't too bad for a first time.
I would say it was pretty bad for a first-timer. I beg to differ, but... We had a... You know, before it all started, we had this suspicion that Boston Rob was actually a good bowler and that he was trying to trick us. And we realized, oh, that's not true. No, not so much. I'm so mad that we didn't have a bet on this. We've got to start having bets on this. Because, you know, it just makes me mad that he talked all that junk and that he's not paying for it. I saw Tony from Wireworks last night, and he goes, what was the deal? What did they bet? And I said, you know, they didn't make a bet. And he goes, oh, you're right. Got to do a bet. Got to be for something. Is it worth something? By the way, Tony told me, you know how we were talking yesterday about finding weird things in food? I won't tell you where this happened. Oh, no. But he got breakfast sandwich. From a fast food place. Okay. And it was the kind of breakfast sandwich that has egg in it. Wakey, wakey. Eggs and bakey. You know, the kind of egg. You know, the kind of egg that's like a little fried egg. Yeah, totally. Only this fried egg had a piece of chewed bubble gum in it. Oh, come on. Mike, please. What? That's right. You're telling me a big fat dog. Oh.
He said that it literally ruined his whole day. Yeah. His whole day. His whole day. Sure. Did he bring it back? End of the day. No, I asked him that. I go, did you bring it back? He goes, mm-mm. Oh, I would have brought it right back. I don't think I would have brought it back either. You know why I wouldn't have brought it back? Why? It makes the experience last longer. I want to try to have amnesia. What I want to do is, and remember yesterday I was saying, I don't know what it would take for me. Because I said, my mind is very resilient. I can have like, I can find a hair in my food and continue eating it. I can. I go, oh, it's a hair. I better take that out and then finish eating. What a random situation. I'm sure that'll never happen again. Could have very well been my hair if I had hair. Could have very well been mine. So I'll try it. My mind will do. However, bubble gum in egg. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't get over that. No way. I cannot get over that. And I probably would be so affected I would never go to that fast food chain again. Yeah.
I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. That's great. That's just that location or the chain in general? Me, just the location. Oh, no. Awful, dude. Me, just the location. Because I would think to myself, well, this is a huge corporation. Their quality control in most places. Right. You know, truth be known. I should feel able to go back to that location in a year because that person is probably the turnover rate. Oh, come on. The turnover rate. If you don't bring that sandwich back, the person that did that is not going to get punished. Right. And he shouldn't be working there. You are correct. See, now I'm struggling with was that done purposefully or was that a situation where it fell out of his mouth, which I've had happen. But you know when it falls out. It's not like you were chewing gum and then you're like, oh, where did my gum go? What if this happened? What if you're chewing gum, it pops out of your mouth and you go, where did my gum go? I can't find it. I can't find it. Don't put those sandwiches out, that's for sure. That's gross. Oh, it's awful. I said, oh, dude, you should have called with that one. That one's pretty bad. Let's see.
P1 Bay. Hi, how you guys doing? Good, what's up? Okay, I have a little story to tell. Yesterday, I'm sitting in the parking lot at my doctor's office, and this lady pulled up next to me, and I'm sitting there in my car with my car off, and she gets out of her car, opens her door, and, like, slams her door into my car and lets it rest on my car. And then she gets out and does the same thing with the back door because she's getting her kid out of the car. Oh, wow. And then... And she doesn't turn around or anything. And then she goes and shuts her door and then decides to open it again and does it again. And I'm just sitting there like, oh, my God. She didn't see you? No, I guess not. I didn't realize I was in there. So what did you do? So I said something to her. I was like, you need to, like, watch where you're opening your door, you know. And she apologized. But I was just like, yeah, right. She obviously didn't know I was in there, and how many times a day did she pull up in a parking lot and do that to other people, you know? Yeah. One time in Dallas, when I lived in Dallas, I was leaving a movie, and I was going back to my car, and I could see my car from a long way away, and there was a guy walking by my car, and they had set the sensitivity to my car alarm to, I just got the car alarm put in.
And they had set the sensitivity too high. And so when he walked by it, it went off. And it scared him. And when it scared him, he kicked my car. Oh, my God. What? That could be a whole other topic. Have you ever experienced somebody doing something rude to your stuff? You know, like this lady sitting in her car and happened right there when she was sitting there. But, I mean, it happens. That's terrible. P1 Hernando. Hey, Mikey. What's up? This is a question more towards you and Eddie. Am I on the air? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're on the air. I got a little gambling issue right now, man. Here's the story. Everything I've been touching has turned to gold, man. It's like I've been gambling as far as poker. I've been playing a lot of poker lately. And I'm coming home with...
like thousands of dollars. I mean, there's no hand that I can lose right now, whether it's a seven deuce off super pocket aces. I mean, I'm just, I'm just on a roll right now. But the problem is my wife, I've been married for almost 10 years to her. The money doesn't matter. What matters is the time that we spend together. And she doesn't feel we spending enough time together. Um, I'm just trying to figure out whether, you know, she's in the right and, you know, or if she's being a beating or if, Am I justifiable? I mean, if I'm coming home, you know, with $2,500 here, $1,800 here, $900 here, every single, you know, not every night because I'm doing it like two or three times a week, I mean, am I justifiable on that? Because it's just, I tell her, as long as I'm winning this kind of money, why would you not, why would you care if I'm coming home at 11 o'clock at night as opposed to staying home, you know, throughout the night and watching TV or whatever we do, you know what I mean? So that's just where I'm at. Yeah, listen, I think that if you talk to each one of us here on the show, you might get seven different answers. But, yeah, I would love to hear thoughts on this. Why don't you listen off the air? Unless you guys have specific questions here on the show, we can keep them on. And I don't think I do either. Why don't you listen off the air, and we'll give you an answer to that, all right? All right, man. Eddie, what do you think? Well, anybody that has gambled for any amount of time knows
you're you go in streaks right now he's on a hot streak but that's that doesn't last if it lasts then you know everybody would gamble all the time you know they was on a hot streak and never stop so you know i if i were him i would ride the hot streak a little bit and then you know i mean i wouldn't go every day because you know gambling can very easily become an addiction and you know it's it i i have to limit myself i know that about myself that I love to gamble. I love playing poker. I love all these things. And so I really watch myself about how often I go and play. And I just, you know, even if I'm winning a lot, I mean, I know that it's not going to last. That is what has always made you, Eddie, what people like me, an addict, call a normie. You're able to do things in a very controlled, appropriate way. I mean, just the fact that you go, hey, man, I watch myself. I kind of keep a monitor on myself. You know what I mean? You have a capability to be able to do that. Your brain operates differently. And so that's awesome. That's pretty cool. Sky, what do you think?
Yeah, I think marriage is all about compromise. And that's really cool for you that you're on a streak right now. But I mean, you know, do you want to be cuddling up to $100 bill for the rest of your life? Or do you want to cuddle up next to your wife? And so, you know, in my opinion, your wife is more important. I'm not saying that you have to, you know, stop going to the casino, but definitely compromise, you know, say, hey, babe, okay, you know what, I'm hearing what you're saying. I want to be there for you. How about I cut my gambling time in half? And then once the street goes cold, then I'll be here for you 100%. And that's how I'd handle it if it was my relationship. My thoughts on it are that gambling is a vice, just like any vice. It's a vice. And how do you know if you have a problem with a vice? You can call what your wife is saying to you anything you want to call it. The fact that you're calling me means it's a... problem you don't call me to ask me that question because of something awesome happening right you call to ask the question because you have a problem about something and the problem is your gambling i can tell you this i think that if you have uh let's say let's take an analogy of another vice let's say it's drinking if my wife is talking to me because i'm going to a bar three times a week and it's
kind of getting in the way of our time, I could easily say to her, but honey, I go to this bar and I get drunk and I come home, I'm happy. Look at how happy I am. Well, you're not always going to be happy doing that when you go and you're drinking at the bar three times a week. So that's my issue with it. The other issue that I have with it is that as a husband, you have to do what... When your wife has an issue, you have to respond to it. Just like when I have an issue as a husband, my wife needs to respond to it. You don't have to. You have a choice. You can go, oh, I hear you. I hear you. I hear you. And you get the hand. And later on, see ya. You're 100% right on that. I mean, I wish...
I could go golfing every day and play video games all day long and do all these things that I really want to do. But I know my wife would be miserable in turn. And so you have to give and take and compromise and figure it out. The things that us guys would do if our wives thought it was okay. Oh, yeah, yeah, no problem. Okay. Again, with the limiting thing, I limit myself to a video game. Like every so often because I get like addicted to it and I want to play it until I finish it. Right. And then, you know, I'm playing eight hours a day and, you know, I don't talk to anybody and it's bad, you know, I'm telling you. So we said a lot. Hopefully it like translated into advice. All right. Quick timeout. We got so much news that's going to blow you away. I got to get to some of this. I know that the Grammy nominations came out, and I know who was on top of them and who had the most. And also, we think that we know who is going to be the voice of the new kit in the... What is it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Knight Rider movie? Knight Rider movie. I'll tell you that after this. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is The Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to say. Rock 105.3.

So, yeah, the Best of the Mikey Show CD is called Furry Up. It's all of us dressed as furries in line at a concession stand. And the reason that we're saying Furry Up is because there's one guy at the front of the line holding everybody up. And it's a guy in a panda suit. Oh, who's that guy? Oh, I wonder. Man. All right. There's one guy dressed as a panda that's holding up that whole line. Furry Up! Sean, Furry Up already. Man. Jeez. Okay. Get your Coke. Or whatever. Yeah. I don't know what they sell there. I don't know what they sell there. It's a concession stand, dude. I've never been to one of those Pervo conventions. Eddie, it's Fervo. Oh, sorry. You're right. He's a fervor. You're a fervor. He's an idiot.
So, yeah, 10 o'clock today. You can order it for pre-sale, and then it is going to go on sale in what we call wide release. Oh, hello. On the 17th, so exactly 10 days from now, you'll be able to buy it in stores. And where do you get it? You get it at any cricket location. I got cricket. Sweet burger everywhere. Yeah, yeah. Now, what we're going to do is we're going to make it available on the website so you can see all the different cricket locations that you can get at. Because as I said that, I'm like, there's something in my mind that makes me think that there may be a couple where you can't get it, but it's virtually available every cricket location. So, nothing but check on it. It's a huge list. I know that for sure. Trust me, you'll be able to get the CD. And the CD only costs $9.99. Oh, dude. That's the cool thing. And every single dime. from the CD, is going to go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Which is awesome. The reason that we decided to do that is because we had our boy Omar in here. Omar is a friend of ours that works upstairs in promotions. And we had everybody praying for Omar's brother. And Omar's brother lost his fight with leukemia a couple of weeks ago.
And so we really felt strongly about it. We really felt it was kind of a no-brainer. When we brought it up, we all just kind of went, we got to do that. And I've actually lost somebody that was close to our family of leukemia. And so we're going to give every single dime that's made from the CD to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and hopefully raise a little bit of money for them. The CD itself is great. Everything about it is great. You're going to love everything about it. The liner notes, everything. And the CD itself has some of your favorite things on there. Dude, there is some hysterical stuff on there. It's good. We will begin the CD with a little something that we like to call Tough Love with Eddie. Well, you should start on that kind of a note. An uplifting note. You're like a downer? An uplifting note. An uplifting note. A downer? For sure. An uplifting note. For sure. So we start off with a little tough love with Eddie. You've got Dr. Phil on the CD. Awesome! You've got a couple of B-Rob's parody songs. Oh, yeah! Which are fantastic. You also have a very famous moment that happened on the show. It was Sky.
Uh-oh. This guy just had a little sneeze while we were on the air. Is that going to be on the CD? That may make it onto 08's CD. Stop it. Just stop it, please. There's a very famous moment that happened on the Mikey Show where Sky told us about what her cure for a sunburn was. Oh! I need to buy this CD because I don't know what that is. It wasn't my cure. If you forgot, it's on the CD. You can see that exact moment when that happened. You also get to hear the first ever dumb chick challenge. Oh, come on. Ridiculous. You also get to hear a moment that made radio history here where Sky and Ashley actually got into a fight. It's really the one and only fight they've ever had. Ever. Which is great. And it's a doozy. I wouldn't use the word great. It was great. I don't know. It was horrible. I wouldn't call it great. I'd call it phenomenal. It still makes me cringe hearing it. It's crazy. I'd call it phenomenal. It's awful. It's awful. It's pretty uncomfortable. Yeah. Yeah. I know you'll like them. I love them. Oh, yeah, baby. Yeah. On the line with us right now is P1 Nerd. Greetings.
Greetings, Mikey Show. Hi. I just, last night I was browsing the Mikey Show website and I saw pictures of the photo shoot you guys took for the CD cover. Really? Yeah. Those are awesome. But I got a question. Why didn't Sean fly down for the photo shoot? Why do you think? Huh? Why do you think Sean didn't fly down for the photo shoot? Wouldn't he be comfortable being in a panda suit? I mean, he already does it. Yeah. You know what else it would mean? Getting on an airplane, flying to San Diego. It's recirculated air. I mean, come on, dude. Use your head, bro. Oh, God. It kind of freaked me out because all the pictures was with Sean with the panda head on. And then all of a sudden, some guy takes off the panda head and it's someone else in the suit. And I was like, whoa. That's not Sean. Yeah. Yeah, and I couldn't be happier. Well, listen, what are you going to do? That's our boy, Shawnee, oh boy. Well, listen, Nerd, are you excited about the pre-sale today? Excited about the what? The pre-sale today? Oh, yeah. I'm going to be posting a link to the store on the P1site.com right on the front page once you guys put it up. Very nice, man. Awesome! Very nice.

I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it.
They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector. So it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Curti Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on Costco. The sleep chain was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something. So they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? It's awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Thank you. You got it. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. That's what I'm doing. That sounded hard. Ashley. I don't get along very well, I don't think, with, like, normal, boring people. Oh, come on. Wait a minute. It's the Mikey Show on The Rock. Hey there, Delilah. Where are you? New York City? Hey there, Delilah, like in New York City. I'm a thousand miles away, but girl, tonight you look so pretty. Yes, you do. I wrote this song just for you. No, me. At Starbucks. I had a turtleneck and it was black in color. And I was wearing little black flame glasses. And I have black hair and it's jet black and piercing. And jeans are black and so is my shoes. Oh, okay. Oh, yes, it's true. Well said. I'm smarter than you. I write music for guys in dorms. Super smart.
Really get it as well as I do. And I have records from guys you don't know about. I'm into Elvis Costello. Elvis Costello is like my hero. And you can't name like one Elvis Costello song. And I talk about Elvis Costello all the time. You feel lame. It's 727. Kiefer Sutherland is not getting celebrity treatment in jail. Yesterday he worked in the laundry and cafeteria. Alright, heads up football fans. The local CBS affiliate has chosen to air the Broncos-Chiefs game instead of the Patriots-Steelers game on Sunday. That's brutal. I'm sorry, what? Dude. Crazy. What? It's crazy. That's brutal. That's crazy.
I can't even wrap my head around that decision. Hey, listen, it don't make a difference to me. I was going to be at the bar watching it anyway, but not at my Patriots bar, but they've got planes and trains and cars. And I know stuff you'll never, ever know. I actually have a record collection of vinyl and it goes in a sleeve. And I know you've never even seen that in your whole life. Poway Sushi Lounge brought food and I'm happy about it. Wow. So good. So good. They're located at 13132 Poway Road, and they're good. They're real good. They know how to make sushi real good there. Check it out. Check out their website. They have a website. into Starbucks and write stuff you wish you knew. Stuff you wish you knew. I read authors. When's the last time you read an author? What do you know about Thoreau? Have you read Kerouac? I have. Everything I've read you haven't read. Really gorgeous. Really, really gorgeous. This guy said it was nominated for Song of the Year. Yep. And it's by the Plain White Tease. Oh. Everybody knows the song. I don't like it, but I know every word. I was just singing it. Just singing the words to it. I was singing the actual lyrics to the song. It's not true. Welcome back to the show. If you didn't hear, the Best of the Mikey Show CD is available starting at 10 o'clock for you to get on a pre-order basis. So, yeah, get it. It'll be good. If you could look like any celebrity, who would it be? Whoa. Well, immediately, I would love
To have the rugged, good looks of Brett Favre. Really? Absolutely. So if you could pick one guy that's famous, you say, I would be Brett Favre. Yeah. Really? I mean, no question. I think he's a good-looking guy. You like the ruggedness. Yeah. I mean, he looks like he's kind of tough-looking to me, and yet handsome. I wish I knew how to quit you. I mean, I'm surprised you picked him. I know you love him and all, but I mean, he's not the most handsome guy out there. No, I said he's not the most handsome. What did you say? I see what you're saying. You know, if America were to put together a list, Brett Favre would make the list. I just didn't say it. I mean, I'm not trying to insult you. I'm just shocked by the pick. I think you've heard the phrase that hot guys are in the eye of the beholder. That's true. So it's each individual person has their own idea of what they think is good looking. And Eddie? Eddie likes the ruggedness, like the kind of fact that he looks kind of tough and he kind of has that tough look to him. He looks like he could beat you up with his jaw if he wanted to. I'm still thinking, Skye, if you could look like a celebrity and you could pick one celebrity and boom, you're going to look like them, who is it? Well, I... Who's the richest celebrity there is? What?
It's about looking, not about money. Who makes the most cost per point on their modeling pictures? I'd like to look like Bill Gates. I'd like to look like Bill Gates' bank account. Gorgeous. It comes with his purse and wallet, right? That's right, yes. Beautiful. I'd like to look like President Jackson. About 150,000 times. To look like stacks of money. I'd like to look like gold. Why do they even bother asking me? I'd like to look like bouillon cubes. If I could look like Fort Knox, I'd be so happy. I'd like to look like cougar ants. Chicken teriyaki. Let me know when you guys are done. All right, fine. Jeepers, man. So sensitive. We're having so much fun. That's really good. Are you guys done? Yes. Oh. Who would you like to look like, Skye? You showed us. Okay. That's right. I'm beating up. So, I'm thinking. Fine. You want to look like her. You win. No fun anymore. We lost. You won. Again, are you done? You're nicer than we are. Are you done? Yeah. Okay. Teach us a lesson.
So my first instinct was to say Jennifer Love Hewitt because my husband is in love with her. But then I don't want to do it for him. I want to do it for me. What the? So thinking about who I want to look like, I would say Lindsay O'Donnell. Lindsay O'Donnell. What? You want to look like Lindsay Lohan. Because I want to be a... After a crack binge? I think she's... I think she's... gorgeous. She is, but she's kind of used and worn out right now. I want to be curvaceous, but I also don't want to be like the run of the mill. You know, I like that she has red hair and freckles. I think she'll get an Academy Award for this picture. So, Lindsay Lohan. I'm shocked. I am too. That's surprising. Yeah, but we're talking pure looks. I mean, you wouldn't want to be her. No, definitely not. You wouldn't want to look like her. Sean. It's really difficult. And people call us. Who would you want to look like? 570-1053. If you could pick somebody that you would look like, you could look just like him. Call us. 570-1053. Tell us who it would be. I think Vince Vaughn is a pretty good looking guy. Not Jerry Mathers? What? What? Eddie, the only reason that you're even saying Jerry Mathers is because Jerry Mathers played the beaver. Oh, I didn't even think of that.
And you know that Sean... I didn't even... You know that a long time ago, Sean used to be a furry and the two outfits he wore were panda and a beaver. And a beaver. Well, now that you're saying it, I got an egg on my face. So what you're telling me is you thought, out of all the people in the world, you thought randomly that maybe Sean would want to look like the actor that played... The beaver on Leave it to Beaver. Who, by the way, was a child. Yes. It's an honest mistake. And you know what, Sean? I apologize. See? It's not that much fun, is it, Sean? It's an honest mistake. It's not. Sean, who would you look like? I don't care anymore. Why do you guys get like this? P1 Birdman would want to look like a pretty hot guy. P1 Birdman? Yes, sir. Who would you look like? Eddie from The Mikey Show. That's what I'm talking about. Handsome. That's what I'm talking about. Rugged. Rugged. Dapper. Hot. Chiseled. Weird. I thought we were just going with him. Have you seen me lately? That doesn't really apply. P1 Dustin. Dustin, who would you look like?
Harrison Ford. Nice. Very dapper. Suave. Suave. Yeah. Bit of a pirate. Yeah, a little bit of a pirate. That's right. A little scruffy looking. That's right. Nerf herder. P1 Jessica would like to look like someone I've never heard of. Oh. And I'm not sure why Rob thought the world would know, but listen. Oh, I can't wait. Jessica, who would you like to look like? Adriana Lima, Victoria's Secret supermodel. Yes, that's right. Adriana Lima. Ooh, yeah. Four girls know who you're talking about. You need to Google her. Thank you very much. She's gorgeous. Thank you very much. Oh, yeah. P1 Nick's got a good one. Nick, go ahead. I would want to look just like Matthew McConaughey. He's more rugged than Brett Favre every day of the week. Matthew McConaughey. No way. He's so fruity. Hey, but that dude is like he's always considered. Like one of the hottest guys. Gals like him. I get it. They like Matthew McConaway. Yeah. All right. Thank you for the call. What about me and you? No. That's a good point. What about me and Damien? What about who? Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. P1 Gen. I'm Matt Damon. All right. P1 Gen? Yes. Who would you want to look like? I'd like to look like, como se dice, Miss Puerto Rico. Yes.
I would like to look like Miss South Carolina. I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have mounts, and I believe that our education, like such as South Africa, and Iraq, everywhere, like such as. Thank you. Jen, very good call. Miss Puerto Rico is very attractive. Isn't she Venezuelan? Thank you very much. Is she Venezuelan? I think you're right, yeah. P1 Leviticus is on the line. Hi. Hi, how are you? Pretty good. Who would you like to look like? I'd have to say Ashley Judd. She's gorgeous. She's a hot number. She's gorgeous. There's a few actresses that are in the category of beautiful. They're not hot, they're beautiful. Ashley Judd is beautiful, and so is Natalie Portman. Oh, that's true. It was a close second, Natalie Portman. Mm-hmm.
Thank you very much. Ashley thought she was going to say her. I can tell. It really bummed me out. I've been waiting for the call. You know what? Thanks for that. I've been waiting for the call. Hello. Hello. There's somebody sitting right in front of you that you look like and picked that look like. Gorgeous 101. Hello. This is exactly why I hate listeners. Over here. P1 Quimby. Yes. Who would you like to look like? Carrie Fisher in Return of the Jedi. Wow. With the whole gold bikini? Oh, yeah. Forget about it. To each their own. Yes. That's awesome. To each their own. Awesome. Don't be like this. I'm just saying, Eddie. Don't be like this. It's in the eye of the beholder, right? I am not saying. She's so hot in that. She's really hot. Like, legitimately hot. Okay. Hang on. Yeah. Okay. Hang on. Yeah, say it. I feel you, Mike. All I'm saying is Carrie Fisher in Jedi. Gorgeous. No doubt about it. I think that there may be some other choices. That's all I'm saying. Not on Earth. Whoa! But to each their own. Whatever. Get my wife on the phone. I want to know who she would want to look like. Do you think Rob would say Tom Brady? Yeah. Did Sean ever answer? Sean, you didn't answer. Yeah, he said Vince Vaughn. Oh, that's nice. Vince Vaughn. Vince Vaughn now or Vince Vaughn swingers? Like swingers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good call. He's good looking without being overly so. Right.
Sean doesn't want to be too good looking. It's like weird. It's like a burden. Boston Rob. Plus he fits the costume. Good call. This is a tough one. Don't do a joke. Don't do a bit. I'm being for real. Roosevelt Colvin. Exactly. No. Either Johnny Depp. Your friend, right? No, that's Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp or Mark Wahlberg. Mackie Mack. I'd say go with Mackie Mack. Johnny Depp or Mark Wahlberg. Those are two different looks, man. Wow. Johnny Depp, I think, is kind of effeminate looking. Plus, he's like a chameleon. Like, in every role he plays, he just takes on his new... Kind of nerdy, kind of geeky, kind of effeminate. He's the anti-Brett Favre. Yes. He's the anti-Brett Favre. Yeah, I was going to say, in his movies, sure, he has...
tons of versatility, but like Johnny Depp when he's not acting, he's like in the crew neck sweater and like the glasses. And Mark Wahlberg has what I call, and there's a lot of guys that have this look that Mark Wahlberg has. And I think it's kind of in the eyes. He has what I call the bulldog look. Yeah, that's what it's called. Eddie's brother-in-law, Tim, has a bulldog look kind of in his eyes. Like a pit bull. And so does Mark Wahlberg. Where they can kind of snap at any minute. Any second. Well, yeah. Yes. No doubt about it. But it's also an actual look to their eyes. It's not that their eyes are portraying an emotion. It's actually what they look like. Oh, you're saying they look like actual bulldogs? Their eyes have a bulldog look that can kill you. Wait a minute. If they're ready to attack you. If they're ready to attack you. Okay. Well said. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Interesting. Let's see, P1 Weapon, are you there? Yeah. Who would you want to look like? Dominic Purcell from Prison Break. Oh, good call. Is that the main dude? That's the brother. The brother. That's Wentworth Miller's brother. Wentworth. Wentworth. Wentworth. Yeah. He's hot. Thank you very much. Okay, Scott. Well, I'm just saying, I enjoy that show very much for many different reasons. Honey. Yeah. Who would you look like?
It's a no-brainer to me. I would look like Scarlett Johansson. Oh, wow. Good call. She's so beautiful, and she has a realistic figure, plus you think she's really hot. Yeah, I think that would be nice. I'll try to pick somebody that I know that you would be into, honey. What's that? I said I'll try to pick somebody that I know that you would be into. Okay. All right. And my wife thinks that McConaway is very hot. And she thinks a couple of people are really hot, but I try to block it from my mind since I'm nothing like them. I honestly, I've tried to make myself forget who they are. There's somebody, call her and ask her, Ash, I think that's the main guy. I think McConaway is her main dude. Like your husband's guy, his main lady is Jennifer Love Hewitt. Right. Oh, and I, he makes it clear. Every time that damn Hanes commercial comes on. Okay. Can you imagine poor Mr. Sky saying, okay, anybody in the NBA, I guess. Anybody in the NBA. That's what he has to say. Any African American. Who won the slam dunk competition this year? Okay, I'll be him. I'll be him. Okay. I'll be him. Shut up. Just naming off random guys from teams. Yes. Okay. Yes, I would. Yes, I'll look like him. Better chance off that way. P1 John.
I'm here. Who would you want to look like? Sean Connery, any decade. Sean Connery? Wow, random. Okay. Any decade, Sean Connery. All right. That's fine. That's weird. P1 Bolts Brigade, who would you want to look like? I would like to look like Howard Stern. For real? Why? Absolutely. I think his long hair and his big nose make him totally studly. You don't think so? I don't know. Do you think chicks are into Stern's look? I think so. Because his whole thing, Stern's whole thing is how he's not, his whole thing is like how he's not attractive. Because he's rich. Yeah, dude. You got to think of that. Like Stern's super funny and he's rich and everything. And so that kind of helps to make him be more attractive. But do you think that if Stern looked the way he looked, he was walking down the street like chicks would be swooning over him? No, not necessarily. But I personally would like to look like Howard Stern. I really would. There you go. This is a matter of opinion. Yeah, who's the guy you think's hot, honey? Brad Pitt. Is it Brad Pitt? I think he's really hot. No, but there's somebody that you always talk about in movies that you'll always see because of him. I thought it was Matthew McConaughey. Well, I think he's hot, too. Is it Matthew Broderick? Yeah.
You caught me. Yes. I thought so. I thought so. From War Games. Roderick from War Games. That version. That version. All right. Thank you, honey. You're welcome. I have a really hard time because whoever I would want it to be would have to be very tall because I'm not. Very in shape because I'm not. It would have to be basically the anti-me. And so dark hair. I would want it to be somebody with dark hair. Who's real good looking with dark hair, Sky? Dark carrots. Roman Oban. Good call. Hi, this is Roman Oban, and you're listening to my girl, Sky, on the Mikey Show. He does have dark carrots. Fergie's boyfriend, Josh Tumal. Oh, I love him. LeBron James. No, Ashley named a good one. Josh Tumal. Yeah, Josh Tumal. Yeah, one of the guys on the line said he'd look like Josh Tumal. P1 Dan, are you there? Yeah. Why Josh Tumal? Because he's dating Fergie. Oh, why would you want to date that gremlin? Really rude. Gross. That is pretty rude. Gross. And unnecessary. You know who I think is real handsome? Jesse Palmer. Who? Whoa. Guy that was a bachelor. Yeah, welcome back. It is 7.55. An Escondido City Councilman is trying to pass a law that would restrict day laborers from gathering in the city. There was a lot of injuries last night in the Washington-Chicago game, including both starting quarterbacks. Washington ended up winning 24-16. I thought that Jessica Sierra was a real good singer, and she did not win American Idol. In fact, she went off pretty soon. She was, I don't know, like 10th, I think. Something like that. And she's getting herself in a lot of trouble right now. She got arrested for trying to bribe a cop out of getting a ticket or something. Not a ticket, but getting taken to jail. She was offering him sexual favors to not take her to jail. She's been arrested twice this year because of drunk and drugs and assault and just a whole bunch of bad stuff. And now to top it off and make it even worse, there is a sex tape out there of her. Oh, no. Never, ever, ever. Tape yourself having sex. You think you're going to erase it. You say you're going to erase it. But you're not going to erase it. And someone's going to find it. It's just the worst, worst idea you could do. Never, ever tape yourself having sex. I can't stress this enough. No, listen. I mean, how could you? How could you stress it enough? You really can't. I guess the tape was shot earlier this year in a cheap motel room. And I saw a still shot from the tape.
And it's her sitting naked in a bathtub in a cheap motel smoking a cigarette. Sexy. It's so gross. You on birth control or are you sticking with confidence? Well, thank you so much. She was going for the white trash trifecta. There you go. Congratulations. That's right. It's like people throw their hats onto the ring or into the ice. The other big thing that's on. Oh, wait a minute. I think I have. No, I'm not going to play that. I announced earlier that at the end of the show today at 10 o'clock, we're going to put the Best of CD 2007 for sale on the internet. You can buy it. It's called Furry Up, and it will be available for pre-sale at 10 o'clock. We want you to get it. All the proceeds go to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It's a pretty good cause. So make sure you get it. Group has 30 days to gather 30,000 signatures to put that beach booze ban to a public vote. Now, we talked to a guy that came on the air who's real opposed to it, and so I'm sure he's out there looking for signatures. They need 30,000 signatures. Yeah, well, I think they need closer to 31, but yeah, they need just about in between there. But they're going to work the streets for the next 30 days. They're working it. That was my throat that went burp, bleep, saba bloop.
Hi, Mikey's Throat. We've got to have some kind of recorded thing that every time one of our throats goes, we have something that we can play that goes, whose throat was that? So anyway. So yeah, whenever it's been put to a vote before, because I believe it's been on the ballot twice, I want to say maybe in the last 20 years, it's been, you know, the voters have turned it down, the booze ban both times. Well said. So maybe people don't want to do it. Yeah, they don't want the ban. Yeah. Did you hear that Mike Huckabee? Mike Huckabee is the Republican candidate that interests me the most. He has apparently really been sailing up the polls. He's in second place in the national GOP race. Now, this guy I know had overtaken Mitt Romney in Iowa, but now it looks like across the country people are going, yeah, Huckabee.
Yeah, right now Giuliani is still leading the Republican race. If people were to vote today, about 26% of Republicans say they'd vote for Giuliani, and 18% say they'd vote for Huckabee, with Mitt Romney now only getting 13% of the Republican vote. I'm telling you, man, people didn't even know who the guy was. Seriously. And now everybody's starting to learn the name Mike Huckabee. I like him. He's a guy that was like, he did all his stuff online, like he didn't have a traditional campaign, I know he had a ton of stuff online. That's how I got to know about him. He rose to fame online. It was really an unusual way to do it, but yeah. I checked out his MySpace. He's got a MySpace, and I checked out his MySpace, and it's really cool because, and this is what I wish every candidate would do, and I mean Democrats, Republicans, everybody. He made it real easy. You go to Mike Huckabee's MySpace, and it lists all the issues. Abortion. Faith. Israel, the war in Iraq. Like, you click on it and you find out what he thinks about everything. That's really cool. That's smart. Yeah, I mean, that's all I want. Right. You know, that's all I want. He's smart. In fact, I'll say this because, you know, Sky was telling me that she had read this thing in Rolling Stone magazine that was kind of bashing on him. And I got to be honest with you. And I mean this from the depths of my heart and soul. I don't want to read that.
about hillary clinton and i swear to you that's the truth i don't want to hear because the truth is is that every single candidate if you go into their past you're going to find a decision they made in a public office except for hillary because for a long time she wasn't in public office right she's only been in public office for a while but if you go back to people that have been in public office for any length of time you're going to find something that you don't like You're just going to. Every single candidate. And especially personal lives. You get into personal lives, forget it, you're going to. This is all I want to know. With Hillary Clinton, I want to go to her website and I want it to say the war in Iraq and I want to click there and I want to see what does she think about the war in Iraq. That would be so great if every candidate did that. Every single one of them. I think it's so easy for us voters. It's too easy. That's why it will never happen. And they want to be wishy-washy on a lot of issues. That's the deal. There's a lot of guys that don't want to say, One way or the other. I got to hand it to Huckabee. Huckabee says, this is the way I feel about it. And that's that. And what's so striking to me is that he's rising up the polls. Do you know how I found out about Huckabee? A long time ago. And by a long time ago, I want to say six months ago, maybe seven months ago. It may have even been earlier than that. I wanted to know about the candidates and there was no place I could go.
to get that kind of information. Like, tell me what you think about abortion. Tell me what you think about education. Tell me what you think about this. Couldn't find a place that listed all the candidates, Democrat and Republican. Finally, I found this thing on MSNBC that gave, like, I'm telling you, 20 words on each candidate. 20. And so Mike Huckabee was one of them. And it was like, boom, boom, boom. He believes, boom, boom, boom. And I was reading all of them and I'm like, Well, the guy that seems to be the most of the stuff that I believe is this guy Mike Huckabee, but I don't... Mike Huckabee? Who's Mike Huckabee? His name sounds foolish. Is that for real? Huckabee? Is he like kidding around? That's crazy. Is he a hound? Is he a pie? What is he? Is he Mike Huckabee Hound? Is he a one-liner? Is he Mike Huckabee Finn?
What does that mean, Huckabee? Is he a line from Tombstone? Right. Yes. How is it? I'll be your Huckabee. I'll be your Huckabee. He should have adopted that. Oh, dude, yeah. Get Val Kilmer on the campaign. Exactly. Anyway, yeah. This guy says he's number two now. You know what we should do? Why don't we... We have time? Or should we do it next break? Oh, you got time. We got time? Ashley, get in here. Let's do some Ashley Pyramid. Ashley, get in here right now. Juliette Lewis on the show today. A little bit later on. The way that we play Ashley Pyramid is that we will play on the air. It's just like a $25,000 pyramid. We'll play on the air what Ashley's trying to communicate to Sky. And if Sky gets five of them within 60 seconds, she will win for a winner. She will get something for a winner. What are we giving away, Eddie? We got our last chance tickets to tonight's big concert, The Rock Before Christmas Part 2. That's right. It's going to be a big one. The axes for The Rock that stole Christmas. When rocks attack. That's right. Part 2. It should be real good. P1NATO, are you there? I'm here.
All right, P1NATO, Sky is going to be playing for you, okay? Come on, Sky. That's right. Hang on the line, okay? Hang on, NATO. Ashley, are you ready to communicate? Do you feel it? Oh, wait. Turn the microphone off. Turn the microphone off. There's that microphone. There's the microphone off. All right. Hello? Okay, there we go. Is this thing on? Yes, it is. Are we ready to go? Okay. What's up? Hi. That was Ashley's Marilyn Monroe. Yeah. I think that's what she was doing. Marilyn Monroe. Yes. All right. Ashley, you will have 60 seconds to communicate five things to Sky. Let's begin. Things you forget at work. Your keys. Or maybe a sweatshirt. Or maybe your key card if you work here. Things you wear around your neck. No, and then you go home and then you're like, ah! Things you lose. Things you can't find. Things in the front of your car. Maybe if you bring in cookies and then you maybe... And then you don't bring the plate home. Things you forget. Yes. Things you see at a bar. Um, drinks and stupid drunk people. Things you find at the bar. Yes. Robert De Niro movies. Um, Greg, can you milk, did you milk yourself? Uh, De Niro lines movies. Yes. Things Zeth may say. I'm scared of Eddie. Things Zeth say. Yes. Things you use for the fireplace.
Um, no. No, no. Like a little, the thing that you stick the logs with and make sure in the newspaper. Things to start a fire, things you use in the fireplace. Items in a first aid kit. That was fun. That was fun, that was fun. Oh man, sorry, sorry, sorry. That was a close one. Wow. That was a close one. I was nervous. Sky, that is as close as it gets. Really close. She won, Nato. Oh, man. Dude, she won for you. Look it. Scott looks like she's sweating. Holy cow. Hang on the line, Nato. Robert De Niro movie. Robert. I couldn't think of. Hey, can you milk me? I couldn't. And then. Meet the parents. I couldn't think of the name. That's the only Robert De Niro movie. It's the only one that was coming to my head. And then analyze this. But I couldn't think of that until just now. Sky getting it to me is amazing. She's the best. P1 Lewis. Are you ready to play? I am. All you have to do is sit there and let Sky do the work. Hang on a minute. All right, Ash, you ready? Here we go. Items in a first aid kit. Bandits. Things in the medicine cabinet. Things you put on a wound. A popsicle stick. Things the doctor has in his office. Bandages. Like, bandages. Things you use when you're hurt. Things you put on a wound. And you put it in your car.
Things in an emergency kit. That's right. Things you may collect. Globes. If you're Sean. If geography. Or like Star Wars things if you're Eddie. Things you're fanatic about. Baseball cards. Things nerds like. Baseball cards. Things you put on a hamburger. Collectibles. Yes, yes, that's correct. Things you put on a hamburger. This tomato. Things in a sound. Peckles. onions, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, cheese, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, special sauce. Things at the barbecue, things at the deli. What is wrong with her? I don't know. Blue cheese sometimes if you want to get crazy. Salad dressing? Lettuce, tomato. A cat. That was your fault this time. What? That one I'm surprised at. What was it?
Things you put on a hamburger. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles. Mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup. Very, very close. I'm sorry, everyone. I'm a monster. You ruined it. I am so, so sorry, Lewis. Don't let it happen again, please. We're trying to win some presents. You know? Louis, sorry about that. You got to try again next time. We only have four more items left. Should we let somebody play with four items and see if we can get four? Wow. We only have four. We've never done this. We've never done that. This is crazy. I'll tell you what. Why don't we do this? Why don't we do three items, 30 seconds? That way we'll have a spare. Is that cool? P1, Chris. Hey, what's up? We're going to play one more time. Ashley need only communicate. Three items in 30 seconds. Hang on the line. Here we go. Things you put on a pizza. Oh, um, okay, pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, ham. Pizza toppings. Yes. Things associated with the OJ trial. Things OJ said. Yes. Things you hear at a boxing match. A ring announcer said.
Things you hear at a boxing match. We were close. You were very, very close, Skye. I got thrown off. That OJ was awesome. Priceless. I got thrown off. It's just no time to think of stuff. It's just the pressure is really hard. Don't go away. Juliette Lewis is still coming up on the show, and Eddie's going to be doing his picks against the Charger girls. I'm already up one game, Mike. Really? I picked Washington last night, and they picked Chicago. Nice. Sorry, ladies. Wait till we come back, and I tell you how much Donald Trump left us a tip. I'll tell you now. It's big. It's big. And I'll tell you how much he left. Where was it, Sky? Where was this waiter? Santa Barbara, I believe, or Santa Monica.
Sounds like Santa. When we come back, I'm going to tell you something. It was Santa Claus. How much he left does it tell? Sounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doom's titanium-infused faceplate. I'm thinking of popping the question over the holidays, Tom. Okay. But it's kind of a stressful time of year to be taking the big step. Well, maybe so, Steve, but... This is a messed up commute here this morning. Basically, in a nutshell, it's wherever you start, that's where it slows down. Wherever you end up, it's still slow there. So basically, give yourself plenty of extra time, man. What a mess of a commute. Both the 5-8-5 northbound struggling out of Chula Vista all the way up. The 5 freeway continues heavy all the way into Mission Bay up to Mount Soledad. 8-0-5 slows from Chula Vista all the way up towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Westbound 94, solid brake lights from the 125 in the downtown. Westbound 8 sees the slowdown starting in the Cajon Valley, right around Laos Coaches. Heavier still, though, from Mollus and solid from here in pretty much the teens and 20s, all the way to Hotel Circle in Mission Valley. Southbound 715, heavy from the 78, all the way down into Miramar. You've got the southbound 7 of the 5 struggling as well, from Las Flores to an accident near Tamarack, then heavy traffic out of Lucadia and towards Solana Beach. Excuse me, a little farther in the south you're going to find another accident now involving the left lanes here on the south 5 at the 805 split. And that's got you quite heavy in there as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Sanjaya. What's going on, Mikey? What's going on, dude? You went to sleep train? I went out to sleep train and bought myself a mattress finally. When did you do it? I went this Sunday, actually. Cool. What did you get? Yeah, I got a beauty rest for classic.
Did they deliver it Sunday, Monday, or when? Sunday when I told them to because I was moving that day. Really? Perfect. That's pretty awesome. And did they take your, well, wait a minute. If you were moving, did they have to take your set or did you get rid of it yourself? No, I got rid of it myself. So they bring the new one in. Did they set it up for you? They set it up for me within like five minutes. And how did it feel that first night? Just like being in heaven. That's awesome, man. That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, I tell people about Sleep Tent. Did they give you a good price? Oh, yeah, dude. I went in there about getting everything for free. And that Mikey sent me personally. He knocked off $700. That's awesome. Yeah. All right, brother. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, dude. Talk to you later, man. Sleep change your ticket to a better night's sleep. Real nice. Real fresh. Yeah, real fresh. You want to take a nice bite of radio? Seconds, please. Now back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I once played chicken. I was Prudy McPrude for quite a while. I thought you lost your virginity at like 12. Sean. Very fair when it comes to tipping. Boston Robb. Everybody enjoys a good thumbs up once. That's right. And Ashley. I'm a very messy person. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Pretty excited about our next guest. Welcome back to the show. It is 819.
We have quite the storm moving in today. A flash flood warning is in effect until tomorrow night. Tim Tebow. He wins the Maxwell and O'Brien Awards last night. There are certain people that are given these God-given abilities that are just, to me, a little bit extra. A little bit more than the average person. We've seen LT play football. Guy just has an ability that other people don't have. And my next guest is somebody that I put in that category. In terms of acting. And now, finding out, because I did not know this, that she is also a musician. It's pretty popular and is sort of blowing up right now. And the band is becoming extraordinarily popular. My guest is Juliette Lewis. Hey. Juliette, are you there? I am here. How are you? I'm really excited that I actually made this call. And my alarm woke me up. There you go.
I'm glad that you did. I'm excited, too. Awesome! Your band, Juliet and the Licks, is going to be playing at the Casbah, right? Yeah, we played there actually last night, and I was going to come and be on your show live, as I like to do things live, but we didn't get in on time from Sacramento, so we would have missed the show. That's okay. We played there last night. She was sold out, crazy, nutty, crowd that we always get every time we play the Casbah, and it's such an amazing show. This is Juliette Lewis on the phone. That's so rad. This is Juliette Lewis on the phone. Juliette, if you come back to San Diego, we'd absolutely love to have you come be a guest in the studio. Please. So much fun. Now, I gotta tell you...
I got to tell you, there's a few reasons that I appreciate you. One is that I think that you're a really good actress. You're also a fan of UFC, which I think is pretty cool. Talking about God-given and going on your whole introduction, which was pretty nice, I thought of Chuck Liddell, who, you know, is like a personal hero, and he's been on a losing streak, but maybe he'll be coming back. He's got to fight this guy. December 29th. Who's he fighting, Eddie? Do you know? Vandley Silva. Vandley Silva? Yeah. That's right. What do you think, Juliet? I don't know. I mean, I can only root for him. I took my whole band and we saw his last fight live. Oh, we were there too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In fact, I think that you were sitting directly on the other side of the arena and there was kind of a, but hey, there's Juliet Lewis. There's Juliet Lewis.
Oh, really? Yeah, we were there at the one at the pond. Yeah, and it was so amazing. Yeah, who I think Gracie Hoisey or Grace Hoisey. Or it's Gracie. Yeah. Or did he fight? Or did he have these other Brazilians that are really exciting? I don't know. I don't know. I don't remember. But I know. Now it's called the Honda Center. It used to be the pond. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, so there's a few things that I want to talk to you about. First of all, I was pretty impressed listening to the music, Juliet and the Licks. And the music's actually, you're a pretty good singer. Thanks. And this record is kind of blowing up right now. It's called, the name of the album is Four on the Floor. Is that correct? Yes, it is correct. And am I also correct? that Dave Grohl played drums on the studio version of the album? You are so correct. How about that? Dave Grohl played drums for her on the record. Dude. Dave, it has Dave. But beyond that, I've been describing our rock music as having a very muscular sound. And I just call it full feel-good rock and roll. And I met Dave Grohl like two or three years ago at the Reading Festival.
this festival in England, we were touring my first album up in Europe. And we've done quite some good things over there in Europe. Right. We got a lot of licks lovers over there. Let me play a second of this song. Okay. Hot Kiss. Yeah. Quite stripesy vibe. Yeah. It's pretty cool. It's really good. It's unique for sure. Now, wait a minute. Now, I got to tell everybody, you got to go to iTunes. Mindset. I'm going to give everything out for you, but I saw the video on iTunes, and I was like, whoa. The video is Juliet walking down the street, and she's wearing this getup. And Juliet, tell me about the getup you're wearing in that video.
I don't know. It's so funny. We shot that video a year ago. And, you know, this is a little rock and roll band. I know people, you know, because I come from film, blah, blah, blah. I don't know. They think there's a trillion dollars. But we are a little hungry rock and roll band. It's always at the mercy of economics. So it's a really simple idea. I wanted other things. But it's literally me just on the prowl. It's me walking down the street. I'm in an outfit I like to describe as my little rock and roll warrior. It's like a superhero, but I'm in tight little feathers on my head. Makes sense. Japanese animation. It is. It's crazy. That's nice. Juliet, questions, questions. Let's talk a little bit about the movie career because I appreciate you as an actor like you wouldn't believe. I think that you... You are a very, I would say, brave actor. You are able to sort of go to a place on film. And you're not, you're very, what's the word, vulnerable. I think that you can kind of be very vulnerable on screen. And I really appreciate it. And my favorite movie that you've ever been in.
is a movie that not a lot of people know about. It's called The Way of the Gun. Yes. Oh, yeah. And that film, and we had Ryan Felipe on the show one time, and I told him something, and he got the biggest kick out of it. He goes, you know, all the interviews that I've ever done, nobody's said that before, and that's one of the coolest things that I've heard. So I'll tell you, too, whenever somebody comes over to my house and I want to show off my surround sound system, I start the scene where they take you hostage. And the guns start wailing when they take you hostage. That is one of the coolest scenes on surround sound with the bullets going off in the left speaker and the right speaker. And it's just, it's nuts. That's amazing. But the movie, The Way of the Gun, if you've never seen it, it's fantastic. So good. Now, I heard, Juliet, that you're taking a break from doing movies so that you can concentrate on the music. Well, yeah. I mean, I'm just, because... music is no easy road and I was like putting off doing music for over a decade because I always knew once I started I was going to give everything and you know it's really a journey and I'm going to develop and discover myself as a songwriter and a live performer so the last two years we've mainly been touring the world you know started super small little 100 capacity clubs
Until in England, we're selling out, you know, 2,500 capacity places. But we started at 100 people. And we just grow it on a grassroots level. Juliette Lewis is on the line. Juliette Lewis on the phone. She's the lead singer of Juliette and the Licks. And where are you right now? Are you in San Diego still, or have you left town? I'm in Los Angeles. We drove in last night, and I got in around 4 in the morning. Holy Toledo. And then you set your alarm, and you woke up. I woke up to ringing bells as loud. I guess I have a little chiming alarm clock, and it worked. Did you have a couple cocktails on the bus ride going back home? Did you guys have some cocktails? Not really. Not last night, because I just got over. crazy chest cold where I finally... This is coughing. ...one more show tomorrow. So I wasn't drinking, no. Gotcha. Every once in a while, I'd like to have... I'm only a big drinker and nobody does drugs in the band. That's why we're able to work so hard. But we do know how to put our party shoes on. Juliet... Juliette Lewis is the lead singer of Juliet and the Licks. Yeah. And... Okay. So...
A couple of quick questions about... Do you want to know about party shoes? They're kind of elephant and they have little bells on them. That's what I was just going to ask you. That's how I pictured them. That's what I was just going to ask you. About those party shoes. I was going to ask you. Actually, I was kind of fighting over which... I was going to say, what was it like working with Benicio Del Toro? And then I was like, no, I want to know about the party shoes. I don't really know which one to go with. Be nominated for an Academy Award for Cape Fear or the Party Shoes. Right. I was kind of like... I was hoping you were going to go Party Shoes. We're talking about an Academy Award winning... Academy Award nominee actress or the Party Shoes. I don't know. Party Shoes. Party Shoes. Party Shoes. Party Shoes. Party Shoes. Party Shoes. Holy Toledo. I love that movie. That was so... I love that you picked that up. I can barely understand the story, the plot. You're a genius in that movie. That is awesome. Well, listen, it's not the easiest movie to follow and understand, but it kind of comes together. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Neither of usual suspects, so it's super complicated and interesting, and that was just amazing. I'll tell you what was a cool scene. Cool scene is Ryan Felipe jumping into a bunch of glass at the end of the movie on Mistake.
He jumped into a fountain that didn't have any water in it. He thought there was water in it. There was no water in it. All that was in there was broken glass. He cuts his forearm, and I told him this when I talked to him, and maybe you'll agree, Juliet. I thought it was amazing acting when he looked at his arm, and his arm is bleeding with glass sticking out of it, and it makes him gag. That's awesome. That's awesome. Ashley, you got a question for Juliet? Yes. This is just a really quick question because the movie Wave the Gun, it ends kind of making the viewer wonder things. I just was wondering if that guy is your father in the movie or not. She doesn't know. She didn't understand the movie. No, he is. Okay. Don't have her give away the ending of the movie, Ashley. That's hilarious. Oh, well, what are you going to do? Four on the Floor is the name of her new album. You can get it on iTunes. The name of the song, of the single that I was listening to was Hot Kiss, if you liked it. And Juliet and the Licks are touring right now. And I hope that you come back around to San Diego and you can come and hang out in the studio. I think you're a very talented person. You're so sweet. And I'll give you a big hug because I'm a hugger. All right. All right.
All right. Bring your party shoes, ladies. Let me tell you something. I want to say have somebody come and pick you up and get your butt to San Diego right now and come and visit before the show's over, but you probably have to go back to sleep. So we'll let you go back to sleep. But Juliette Lewis, I'm a fan. You're a very sweet person. And thanks for coming on and talking about this. Can I just tell everybody one thing that if they're curious about the Van Gogh on our MySpace page, But it's MySpace.com slash Juliet and the Licks. It has all our tour dates. Because we're going to be adding more for next year. We play our last show in L.A. tomorrow. And it's a really fun page. It has videos and shenanigans and wild answers. Can I say shenanigans this early? Yeah. Are you done then? The tour is done for a while? You're staying in Los Angeles tonight? Or what are you doing? Oh. Oh, Lordy. Let me tell you, we're at the end of a two-month tour of the U.S. I'm going to get on a plane in two days and make that trip to Led Zeppelin. Wow. Oh, my gosh. Wow. You lucky girl. Wow. Yes. My tour manager has his Christmas present. Wait a minute. Are you giving away the surprise, or does he already know? He already knows. Okay, okay, cool. Because I don't want you to spoil it like Ashley spoiled the way of the gun for all of our listeners.
even know what I'm talking about. Everybody heard it. It is her father. Nobody will know. No one will know until you have to see the whole movie to even get that. Ashley already gave it away. Thank you, Juliette. There you go. It's a guy in the crying game. That's true, too. It's a guy in the crying game. Juliette Lewis, thank you for coming on the show, and we miss you already. I miss you already, and I'll see you next year. All right, we'll talk to you later. See you guys later. Late. She hasn't had one drink. She says she's got a cold. She can't drink. I say it sounds like you had a beer. Either way, it was fun to talk to her. She's got to get in here. We got to get her into the studio. How much fun would that be? Well, I'm going to let people know right now. If she ever comes in the studio, we're not doing anything else but talk to her for a while. Five, three. Al Smith had an idea for a whole new way to cut diamonds. A way to make them look bigger. A way to make them shine brighter. Mr. Smith's incredible diamond blew away the machines that measure brilliance. Al gave Robbins Brothers the exclusive right to sell his diamonds. Mr. Smith's incredible diamond sells for the same price as regular diamonds. But that's where the comparison ends. Come see for yourself. Robbins Brothers, world's biggest engagement ring store.

There's still plenty of brake lights, which I can give you some better news, but unfortunately, it's still quite tough because of the rain. Give yourself plenty of extra time. You're going to need it. Right now, boat at the 580-5 Northbound struggling out of the South Bay from Chula Vista. All the way up. The 5 freeway continues slow. Coming out of downtown through Mission Bay to Mount Soledad. The 805's got solid break. That's out of Chula Vista all the way up towards Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. West 94 has improved a little bit. Now heavy from Massachusetts out of Lemon Grove. And that's a slow ride all the way to downtown. The westbound 8's got plenty of stuff to deal with here as well. Backs up here from right around Mount Mollison in the Cajon Valley. Up to over the Ghost Run Summit through La Mesa all the way to Hotel Circle.
Now, a new accident near the 5 freeway is causing some heavy traffic around that as well. South Plateau, the 15, solid brake lights from the 78 in Escondido down to Miramar. And the coaster ride, South on 5 in single digits and teens here from Acadia all the way down to the racetrack in Del Mar. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Allen? Yes. You went into sleep train in San Marcos. I sure did, Mikey. Went in there. We were going to get the Queen. Told them I was the P1. They upgraded us to the California King. and took $1,200 off the price. That's pretty amazing. Yeah, it was nice. And they gave us the pillows, mattress cover, sheets, everything for free, free delivery, all of that, just because I said I was the P1. There are certain things in my life that I considered no-brainers. You know, at the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. But there's also things like when I talk about AIS and when I talk about Sleep Train, these are no-brainers in life. If you're doing anything other than Sleep Train or AIS, it's not the best decision you could be making. Sleep Train is the best decision you could be making if you need a mattress. It's an awesome mattress, too. The Beautyrest Plush Paris. I mean, it's gorgeous. That's nice, dude. That's nice. Sleep Train in San Marcos.
Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Thanks, dude. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I am a recovering alcoholic who did go to rehab. Eddie. I may, at times, suffer from delusions of grandkids. Sky. Just because I like to be sensitive of other people's feelings. But it doesn't do any good. Sean. I only like to read technical manuals. I don't like to read books. Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I just like to share food. and I like to take little bites of people's food. It's my thing. On Rock 105.3. Eddie and Sky are watching the video for Hot Kiss by Juliette Lewis. It's so awesome. Well, you know, the thing is, I don't know how it has not become like a YouTube thing anyway. Phenomenon? Yeah, like a YouTube phenomenon. Yeah. You know, it's as interesting and compelling to me as Chris...
Tucker? Crocker. Crocker? Talking about Britney? Like, to me, I think you could put them in the same category. It's just as crazy. Yeah, like, you've never seen anything like this. You've never quite seen anything like that. Leave Britney alone! Awesome. Sky, describe her outfit. Well, she has, like, a little, like, makeshift Indian headdress on. Will you send me the link? You could buy at the 99 cent store. And then she has a bikini top on that is covered by a see-through blue lace tank top. She is wearing hot pink tights with a belt on, like a black belt. She has a black armband on, and then she has high black boots on. Sexy. Rock and roll warrior gear. Rock and roll warrior. We had her on the show. We should put the video on the website so that people can... This is good times, right? Check it out. It really is good times. Put it up. All right, I'm sending you the link. Send me the link. Did you send him the link yet? I'm sending Sean. Mike. Sean, I'm going to send you the link. Mike. Okay, Sean. Send me the... Sean, I sent you the link. Hey, Mike. Did you talk about her headdress with the feather in it? Yeah.
I'm going to beg her to come in the studio wearing that. Oh, please. That should be like, this should become a YouTube phenomenon, and then that's what chicks should dress as for Halloween. Please. I love Juliette Lewis. Wow. She's so weird and funny and weird. She really is a good actress, too. Mikey, who wouldn't want to look like George Takai with rainbow suspenders and roller skates beside P1 Photoshop? I don't wear rainbow suspenders anymore. Wait, you don't wear what? Huh? Huh? What aren't you wearing? Well said. I don't wear rainbow suspenders anymore. Are you drunk? How come? I found out that's gay. What? And I was like, I was like, what? And then this guy was all, yeah, that's gay. And I was all, what? And he was all, what's wrong with you? Yeah, man. That's like gay. And I was all, what are you saying?
Why are you being so weird? I don't know. I don't know what's the matter with him. Is he drinking? No, I don't. I'm getting over a cold. That's what Juliet said. Chest cold. I don't drink or do drugs. But you're slurring. I'm not. I'm not. I'm tired. Okay. If you say so, dude. And I was all, that's gay? And he was all, yeah. Did I tell you the story already? Yeah, pretty much. Well, then you guys know. As a fellow gay man. Well, what can I tell you? Do you guys think that the Ellen DeGeneres show is a good television show? Do you guys like that? Yes. I do. Yes. No. The lady's so funny. It's funny. She had Kieran Knightley on yesterday. It's not funny. It is very funny. It's opposite of funny. Cut 45. I mean, they're beautiful shots, but with people all around and you just do that and you're okay? I think I find it vaguely liberating. Uh-huh. Which, I hope I'm not going to become a nudist. Mm-hmm. Because you're on your way, I'll tell you that right now. I am on my way. Yeah. So you'll probably see pictures of me just walking down the street naked. Just nude next time. Next time, I don't know why you put clothes on to come on the show. Which should I take them off now? Oh, you flirt. We're daytime. To flirt. Why don't you just take your clothes off now, Kira? Yeah.
I'm kidding, of course. I'm imagining it. I mean... Barry Bonds is starting his legal proceedings today. He says he wants to play in 08, but he's showing up on those charges today. How can you play if you're in jail? I don't know. Maybe they'll have a team. Oh, that's true. Kind of like the longest yard, but with baseball? Yeah, a little, you know, do a little pickup with the other guys. Against the guards? That'd be sweet. Our program director, Shauna, will enjoy this. This is Chad Kroger of Nickelback talking about the importance of the Grammys, cut 55. I don't know that we should... Well, I think everyone's sort of... The Grammys is the big ones. You know, those are the big kids for some reason. Let me just get invited to go. You know, just get nominated. That's very cool. Everybody who gets nominated is a winner. Until you get to the after show party and then everybody's a loser. Here's Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters talking about...
Their album, Cut 56. The emphasis wasn't on, oh, we got to make the hardest rocking songs or these songs have to be beautiful or whatever. I think they've really just kind of said, I'm just going to try and write the best songs I can. So there was never a concept for, is the record going to be all heavy? Is it going to be laid back? What's it going to be? And it really just ended up being the best songs. You sound different if you're 34 and you're in the Foo Fighters or if you're 34 and you work at a bank. You sound different. Yeah, that's true. Your voice sounds different. You've lived life, man. That's right, man. You don't have, like, rules that, like, tie you down. You don't have to live by, like, rules that make you punch in and punch out, you know? You don't live by that. You don't deal with the rush hour. You don't deal with all of that, man. Just make your own rules. Wake up when you want. Cubicle, what's that? Right. You don't have to deal with cubicles and cost per... Management. Managemers. Whatever. Managemers. In my lunch hour. I'm on an entirely 24-7 lunch break. That's right. Everybody should do it to lunch and I'm just not coming back ever. I don't even know what a stapler is. Who wants to use that instrument of monotony? It's like an urban pool, man. You know what? I use my guitar. Thank you.
You know why? Because that stapler will ruin people's lives at some point. And my guitar will make people happy. Okay. Stapling together your foreclosures and all your legal proceedings and your divorces. You know what my guitar does? It makes you gently weep. That's what it does. It fills your soul with gladness. Makes your heart smile. I made a swastika out of staplers. Yeah. What? Well, that's what they should be. Might as well be. Bunch of Nazi officers. Yeah. Every office worker's a Nazi officer. Officer. My guitar is like the Marines. Yeah. Fighting a good, peaceful war against you monotonizers. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Hand me my ruler. Hand me my pens. Give me my folder. Whatever, man. I'm about music, rock and roll, and thinking. How about I hand you this lick? Yeah. You put that in your attache. Whatever that is. Yeah. Who needs it? Barbara Walters asked Justin Timberlake about his relationship with Jessica Biel. Oh, hello. Cut five. You're going to do it to me too, Barbara. How could I not ask him about his new relationship with actress Jessica Biel? She's a wonderful, wonderful person. Whatever. If you were last...
Well, I'll work on that. So far, so good. Yes, so far, so great. That was hard hitting. Were you mawested? Like right in the middle of it, like he's laughing about Jessica Biosho. Were you mawested? No. Justin Timberlake. Actually, Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. Say it however you want then. Take everything I wanted in there. You know I gave you the world. Cut six. Hemingstone called you the new king of sex. Do you think you're sexy? I don't know. I'll hold on to that title. I'll hold on to that title for as long as I can. You know, Brad, George, you guys may be on the most beautiful whatever, but... You know what? You're 26. And then... Yes, yes. Eat your heart out, boys. He talks very different than...
The guy from the Foo Fighters. Yeah. Yeah. Love it. He talks like, you know, Justin Timberlake, he talks like this. Yeah. I don't know where he's from. Do you guys know where Justin Timberlake is from? He's from Tennessee? No, man. He's got to be from, like, Compton. Oh, yeah, dude. No, dude, I just heard him talking right now. He's got to be from, I'll tell you the neighborhoods. He's either somewhere in Brooklyn or from Queens, maybe. Watts. Maybe Harlem. Watts. Holler. It's like West Tennessee, though. Oh. That is West Tennessee. Like Compton, yo. Hard West Tennessee. What? The mean streets of Tennessee. That's right. Hey, man, you might say it, but I'm telling you, you try to be a white boy in some of the neighborhoods I grew up in, like Beverly Hills, Bel Air. Some of these areas get real tough, man. Miami. Yeah, man. You try being a white boy in some of those areas. It gets tough, man. Glad you survived it. That's right. You got to carry around a pocket protective and sharpen. What? If you don't, man, it could get bad. Okay. It could get bad. Like I had to get Adidas that were street fast. Oh, street fast. Yeah. You can't have those basketball Adidas when you're a white boy. Let me tell you something, man. You're a white boy. You're living in Memphis or anywhere in Tennessee. Tennessee's the toughest state in the union. A lot of people don't realize it. You think like New York, you think California, some of the tough streets of Tennessee, dude.
You haven't even begun to get in there, dog. You're going to die if you don't know what you're up to. You go to West Memphis, yo. And you go out there at any time past curfew, which is 8 o'clock. You mean when the streetlights go? When the streetlights go down, your mom says you should be getting home. That's right, man. That's right. It gets tough out there, yo. Quick time out. When we come back, Eddie will be going up against the Charger girls and picking some games. Here we go, Eddie. Awesome. Let's do it. Take a quick time out. Come back and do that. And much, much more. By the way, the Donald Trump story, we are finding out that the Donald Trump story is a fake and a phony. It's the Mikey Show. It's 8.57. Authorities in San Diego announced yesterday that 59 people have been arrested as part of a three-year drug sting. Arizona basketball coach Lute Olsen said he's going to extend his leave of absence through the end of the season due to family matters. What about this? It's time for Eddie's Picks. The Oracle against the Georgia girls pick. On the Mikey Show. Already doing well. You won last night. Yeah. You won last night. You took Washington over Chicago, Eddie, and you've already won that game. Right. Awesome! Now, so you guys have not picked these other games, or you have picked these other games. Because remember, we did two in a row. We've already done the two, right? Yeah. Those are out of the way. That was a couple weeks ago. That was like a year ago. So when you pick Chicago-Washington, she's making fun of me. That was rude.
So we did Chicago-Washington. It was included as a part of last week's picks. Is that the deal? No. No. I see what you're saying. You just already picked it. We knew that they weren't coming yesterday. Right. So I emailed Kaylin and I said, you need to make a pick for tonight's game because they were coming in today. Okay. And she took Chicago. Yes. Wow, girls. Would you have let her do that? Or would you guys have taken... Because two girls are in here right now. They didn't do this. Kaylin. I don't know. Did she consult you guys? We back her up with everything she does. We're going to go ahead and go with that. We try to stick together, you know. I understand. I understand. Chantel and Alicia are in the studio. Is it Alicia? Get it. I got to write things down fanatically. I don't want to mess it up. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Too late. Thanks. I tell Zethian Oates to write it down for me. Oh, now you're going to blame it on Zeth. And I say to him, please put it phonetically for me. I'm just kidding. I've never said that. Alicia. Okay. Now, ladies, have you done your homework? Do you know what teams you want? Are you all set? You're just going to ask me about last week. What happened, Eddie? What happened last week? Well, let me tell you something. The Charged Girls did awesome. They went 11-5. That's what we did.
I mean, talk about a great week. 11 and 5. Yes. Wow. But I was better. But I was better. But I was better. Oh, Eddie. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Call 12 and 4. We got it this week. Don't even worry about it. I have 120 and 58 on the year. 120 and 58. What is the actual score? How does it look? I've got 120 and 58. The Charger girls are 116 and 62. That's close. Later we're going to get him a cookie because he's excited. No, you didn't. All right, good. Now, listen, you can shorten the gap between if you guys make some good picks this week. Okay. So, let's get this thing rolling. Get it started. I ain't even sweating it. Charger Girls. You are. I see you. Carolina at Jacksonville. So, we're going to go with Jacksonville. Okay. Eddie? Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and make this my lock of the week, Mike. I will take Jacksonville as well. There you go.
Eddie, the Giants at Philly. I went back and forth with this one. I really was considering taking Philly with Donovan McNabb. He's coming back in the game. But I'm going to take the Giants. I think that they are going to play well and win that game. And we are also taking the Giants. There you go. Charger girls, St. Louis at Cincinnati. Okay, so this one is definitely... I'm going to go ahead and go with... What do you want to do, Leslie? It puts you on the spot. I think we should go with the Bengals. Okay. Going with the Bengals. Go pick. Eddie. I agree. I will take Cincinnati at home. All right. Charger girls. So far, you guys agree on everything. I know. So maybe there will be a disagreement coming up. There will be. I got an upset. Eddie. Uh-oh. Tampa Bay at Houston. Again, another tough game to call. Hopefully the pride of Gilroy High comes back and plays in this game. Jeff Garcia. I will take. Tampa Bay on the road. Charger girls. Tampa Bay, hello. They're leading the NFC South. Well, hello. Hello. You guys playing good though, girl. I know, I know. Chantel, you know your football. I do what I can. All right. Miami at Buffalo. Okay. What? You're going to do it, huh? You're going to do it. I know it. I know you. Pull the trigger. I know.
Is this your upset? No. No, I'm going to do Buffalo. Okay. Come on. All right. Eddie? Okay. I'm going to take Buffalo, but remember me saying this. Okay. I think this is the week that Miami wins. You think? I'm going to take Buffalo because it's strategy, but I really kind of feel that Miami's going to win this game. All right. See what happens there. Do you think her upset is Tennessee this weekend, Eddie? I mean, is it possible that her upset is? What? I'm right. What? Eddie, Oakland at Green Bay. Of course, you've got to take the magical Brett Favre. I mean, can any injury stop this guy? Can any injury stop him? You really like Brett Favre. He's unbelievable, Mike. You like Brett Favre. Charger Girls? Green Bay. Say that again, girl. Charger Girls, Dallas at Detroit. Okay, we're going to go with Dallas. Eddie? I will take Dallas as well. I'm sure you both are taking San Diego over the Titans. No need to even ask that one, right? That's right. Don't you get that look in your eye. Eddie? All right, Charger Girls. Minnesota at San Francisco. That was your upset. Of course, no. Minnesota. All right, Eddie. Where's her upset? I don't know. It's coming. I'm going to take Minnesota as well. Oh, I know what her upset is. You know. You can't ruin it for her. Hey, Mike, have you ever heard of building suspense? Have you ever heard of it? Who knows what it'll be? Who knows what it'll be? Hey, hey, hey. Eddie, Minnesota at San Francisco. I got the Vikings. All right. Charger Girls, Arizona at Seattle.
Seattle. This is one of those weird NFC West contests. Could be close, but I'd take the home team with this one, Seattle. Eddie, Cleveland at the Jets. You know, I'm really disappointed how Cleveland played last week, but you've got to figure they'll rebound and play well against the Jets. I'll take Cleveland. That's exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes we're okay. We're here. Charger girls and Eddie, you guys have not disagreed. No, no. That was last night. On one game yet. You have not disagreed on one game yet. So now it brings us to the next game, which is the Pittsburgh Steelers at the New England Patriots. I'm sure that the Chargers girls are going to take the Patriots. I mean, everybody's taking the Patriots. I wonder. I wonder if Mike wouldn't have already. Chantel. Chantel. Yes. Who do you want? Who do the Chargers girls want? Let me think about this one. It's going to be an upset, so I'm going to go with Pittsburgh. Oh, this was her upset. This was my upset. Alicia, do you agree with that? You support that pick? Hello, we go together. Okay, okay, I'll just check it. That's kind of a crazy pick. I know nothing about football. That's kind of a crazy pick. Eddie? I think it's going to be a contest, but I'm sticking with New England. There's no way I'm going to pick against Patriots right now. Well, who said that? Well, Boston Raw, of course. Oh, Boston Raw. Good choice, Eddie. Last week, come on.
They'll pull it out. Come on. At this point... On the road. At this point, Eddie, even if you... At this point in the picking, even if you lost that game, you've still tied because they lost last night. That's right. Hey, Mike, you're not supposed to be... No need to rub it in. We got it. All right, Eddie. Yeah. Kansas City at Denver. Hmm. What's that about, Eddie? That's a tough one, right? This is a tough game because, I mean, they're both terrible. I'll take the home team. Whenever I'm confused, I'll take Denver. All right. Charger Girls. We're also taking Denver. We went to the Kansas City game and they're struggling a bit, so we're going to go ahead and go with Denver. All right, Charger Girls. The Colts, the Baltimore Ravens. We're going to go with the Colts. I think it might be a close game, but. Eddie. Bring it. Colts. Mm-hmm. You guys agree on them all? Mm-hmm. One last game. Uh-oh. Charger Girls. I didn't know. New Orleans at Atlanta. New Orleans. Eddie. I got the Saints as well. Wow.
Wow. Dang. This is an easy week for me. Well, now, wait a minute. Now, wait a second. You know what's coming on. Now, what happens if Pittsburgh wins? What happens with your guys' picks? You can just tie? Yeah, we tie. So, I mean, because this is a marathon, right? Yeah, that's the total of the entire year. Okay. So, I'm looking pretty sweet this week. And so am I. Well, Charger girls. Now, listen. When it's an away game, like this weekend's in Tennessee, you girls stay, right? We do stay and do promotions all around San Diego. Right. And so, and is that league-wide, like, Do all the different dancers for all the different teams, do they stay in there? Nobody travels, right? No, it's an NFL role. No one travels. I wonder why. There's nowhere for us to go. What do you mean? Because we travel throughout the quarter. We go around the whole field. They already have their homegirls. I see what you're saying. Unless we come in and just kick them out, you know. Here's my question. Now, is it like that? Every NFL team, the girls kind of rotate the entire stadium. They all do it sort of the same? Yes. And so I wonder why they don't do like a thing where one team's over here, one team's over here, you know, home team, away team. Well, because it's the home crowd, right? I mean, they'd have no love for the Charger girls if they were away. Until they saw us dance and then they'd be like, damn, those girls are home. Those girls are better than our girls. We don't want to steal their thunder. That's very nice. Well, there you go. All right. Let's see how these games play out. Thank you, Charger girls, for coming in. Thanks for having us. We'll be back.

Some slow traffic around that. Coming up into the South Bay, both the 5 and the 805 northbound still struggling on both these freeways. Out of Chula Vista up to National City. 805 still pretty much all solid all the way to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5 gives you a break for a stretch out of National City. Hit you again trying to get out of downtown. That stays heavy in the Mission Bay towards Mount Soledad. The westbound 8 has improved quite a bit now. So from right around Fairmount to the 805.
Still more brake lights on a hotel circle, though, to an accident near Morena Boulevard. Southbound's out of the 15th. Solid brake lights here still from the 78 all the way down to Mercy Road in Poway. The coaster rides Southbound 5 struggles out of Encinitas and toward the racetrack in Del Mar. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 4053. All right, MMA fans, listen up. Listen closely. This coming Wednesday, it's December 12th. We got a big World Extreme Cage fighting fight going down. It's going to be huge. Eddie, you already got a T-vote, right? Yep. I already said it for mine, too. It's going to be going on at 6 p.m. At 6 p.m. Wednesday night. In some of the fights, we got Jens Pulver, who is, you might have heard of him from the UFC. He's a legend. He's a legend. You might have heard about him. He's fighting the rising star, Cub Swanson, in his debut. Although, Cub Swanson's not debuting. What? Jens Pulver's debuting in WEC. Cub Swanson has fought several times. That's what I meant. Right. Well said. Very good, Rob. Thank you. Continue on. All right, so the main event, Uriah Faber, right? Correct. He's going to be fighting Jeff Curran. Oh, my God. Mikey. Just cleaning your microphone. Is this really happening right now? What is that? Mikey, he's in the middle of... Is that poison? Are you kidding me right now?
Okay. What are you saying? If you want to find out. I do. I want to know about this. Okay. I'm going to tell you a website. Because my microphone was just being cleaned. I know. He's an idiot. It's Versus.com. It's not VS. It's V-E-R-S-U-S dot com. Go there. Check it out. You can get all the times. Also, other listings of WEC Fights. And you can check out a bunch of cool stuff on this site. It's Wednesday, December 12th at 6 p.m. Wireless Studio. Really? Oh, my. KIOC San Diego's Rock. Welcome back to the show. It's 9-15. Kiefer Sutherland is not getting any celebrity treatment in jail. Yesterday he worked in the laundry and cafeteria.
Chargers are taking on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. All the action can be heard right here on Rock 105.3 starting at 7 a.m. There you go. They got to start early when it says games that are on the East Coast, right? Yep. Welcome back. You can call us if you feel like it. The number is 570-1053. This most fascinating people of 2007 is apparently Barbara Walters interviewing a bunch of different people. Former President Bill Clinton. Oh, yeah, dude. Yeah, that's the guy that Sean really likes. He really likes him a lot. So brilliant. Cut nine. Who do you think is the strongest Republican candidate? I can't tell, but I think that McCain has a lot of appeal. And I think that he seems to be making a little bit of a comeback. And we disagree on many things, but I think he's a big figure.
So he might be the most electable. I don't know if he can be nominated. It's kind of interesting to hear him say that. Yeah. He's the most electable. Wow. And the most electable. Oh, well, that's another great point. I mean, you can be both. Yeah. I think I proved that. Well, duh. Electable and electable. Cut ten. How much time do you get to be with each other, you and your wife? Not as much now that she's running. We talk a lot of times. Hillary? I'm texting. No, I don't do that. I call her on the phone. No emailing? I want to hear her voice. I call her on the phone because I can hear how she's doing. You know somebody as well as we do. You just hear the tone of her voice. You know how they're doing. I know she's got that gruff exterior, but... She's really softy. Yeah, inside. I think. Sexy little minx. I mean, I know she doesn't look like it, but it's crazy. She cleans up well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Throw stuff around the room. Just crazy.
I like that. It's sexy. Yeah. She yells at me. Really? Screams. You know, punches me. Oh, wait. Whoa. Belittles me. Humilates me. Makes me feel small. Yeah. Oh, and you like that. Like I was worthless and she ran the whole country. Oh, wow. It's turn on. Yeah. Turn on. Turn on? Well, everyone's different. You bet. Okay. I like it when she says, you're worthless, little maggot, aren't you? Yeah. You know, when she says. I can do better than you did. That's a good one. And then I giggle and I go, yeah, you probably could. Oh. Whatever. Did I mention I am not attracted to Hillary at all? Okay. Makes me want to retch. Not even 1%. Not even 1%. Wow. I'm married for money. Yeah. Wow. Did I mention that we are in a marriage of convenience? I have my own bedroom. You have your own bedroom? With a lock. Did I mention I cannot stand Hillary Clinton? Don't vote for her. She will ruin this country. Hey guys, I don't want to do it. I don't want to be first man.
Can you imagine if she was the president and he would be first gentleman? What do they say? So awesome. First gentleman? What would they call him? First dude. First guy. First man. First bro-fist. First bro-fist. First bro-fist. Fist bump. Presidential fist bump. 570-1053 is the phone number. So yeah, Donald Trump, apparently this news thing came out and said, Donald Trump went to this restaurant. Where, Skye? In Santa Monica. Santa Monica. You're fired. He ordered some food and then he asked the waiter, what's the biggest tip you've ever received? And the waiter says, $500. From Jerry Bruckheimer. So I received $500 from Jerry Bruckheimer. So Donald Trump gives him $10,000. Wow, that's very generous. Very generous. Great guy. Yeah. And it's making news and everybody's saying, well, what is it? Is it that Donald Trump is trying to...
promote a new season of the apprentice what you know what what are you doing donald trump right well it turns out it was not donald trump right sky yeah he got wind of the story and issued a statement saying that it wasn't him he wasn't even in california at the time and this was all done by the stupid restaurant to get publicity wow yeah how'd you really feel donald yeah Well said. They were making it all up. What? And, like, God forbid he get good publicity. Right. I know it. Can't have that. Couldn't just let that one lie, you know? Idiot. Well, but see, I was thinking that if it was him, I was going to think he was creepy. Because I would have thought, well, who gives money and then is like, hey, I just gave a bunch of money. Unless the guy did it and he didn't know about it. Right. In which case I would think it was nice. Well, yeah, that's the way the story was coming out. It was the waiter telling this story, not Trump. But when the story was maybe it was for publicity, then that would have meant that it was him. It wouldn't be the waiter doing it for Trump's publicity. It would have been Trump doing it for Trump's publicity. Right, I see what you're saying. Which I think would have been kind of creepy. That's what it does. Yeah, I know. It's kind of creepy. Heck of a steak, though, that Donald Trump steak. Oh, you've had one.
Trump steaks. They sell them at like Sharper Image or Brookstone or something like that. Like the place where you get the back massager? Yeah, you know where you get weird specialty? That's one of the places that he sells his steaks. Makes sense. Yeah, that's where I go to get my steaks. It's a specialty item. Don't go to Vaughn. You ever drink that Trump water? There's water too? Is there really, dude? Yes. Come on. 100%. No way. Isn't there like Trump vodka? Yeah. Really? Trump ice cream. I've seen Trump cologne. Which I couldn't imagine. Can you imagine? It smells like your Uncle Don. Smells like success. Yeah. He's got a tie line, too. Actually, I wear it all the time. Yes, I've got a bit of that cologne on now. Smells like a rich man, and I love it. Dab of rich man behind the ear. Dab of rich man on the wrist. Come here, boo. That's what I am. That's right. And just a dab of rich man right here on the... Nape of the neck. Ah, Ramsey, you smell average. Come here. No! Okay, let me rub you down with a hundred. That's right. There you go. That's what I use as my bookmark, by the way. Now I can stand you. And toilet paper. Okay. And Kleenex. Hand sanitizer. Shoe wipe. Yes.
doo-doo picker-upper. When I walk the dog. You know, when you walk the dog, you got to pick up after it. So you take a load of hundreds with you. Take a load of hundreds in a paper bag. Pick up the doo-doo with the hundreds. Drop it in the bag. The whole thing. Along with the hundreds. Yes, along with the hundreds. We don't want to get your hands down. And it's used. Yes, plus it's been used. It's no good. What good is a hundred dollar bill unless it's fresh off the printer and crisp? The printer. Otherwise, what good is it? It's got to be fresh. Okay, we get it. Real sweet. Real nice. All right. Real fresh. Real good. Weird. Yeah, that's right. Like my friend Woods used to say, real fresh. Real sweet. Yeah, real sweet. Real fresh. Yeah. Kill that. Kill that. Kill it. Great. Yeah. Here, here, here. Here, here, here. Here, here, here. Great. Yeah, real good. Real good. Big. Yeah, real good. Yeah, do a little toot. One little bump. That's so stupid. A bump. A little here, here, here. A little money bump. You know, 95% of all hundreds in circulation have had cocaine on them at one time or another.
I licked those babies clean. That's right. Oh, my God. The scientific fact. See me use them like lollipops. Right. Big coke head. You got me paid. Listen, I'm fine with you fellas making jokes about me being rich, but I draw the line. Yeah, because that's true. Yes, yes. No, that's not true. I wish it would be that. When you start getting into falsities, is that a word? I'm all right with the truth, but when you make up blatant lies about me like cocaine, I've got to draw the line. Then I get angry. Draw the line, and then I snort it out. How am I going to feel when people recognize me in public? Yes. Shut up. I'm all right with them knowing that I wipe with gold, but I am not okay with them knowing. With the booger sugar. That's right. constantly being recognized. Yes. Not so... Every day. Every day. I mean, the man comes out to fix the yard, for crying out loud. Enough already. And I can't even catch a break again. Are you... Yes. Yes, I am. I keep an Instamatic in my pocket for such... Ramsey, fetch the autograph table. Stop it. Hurry up. I've got to... What am I going to send? Stand and sign? It's an impromptu signing. Hello.
Bring me another gold bar to sign. Here you go. Boo, you'll never believe what just happened outside. Again. Again. I set up an autograph table in front of my house. Here's your free ham. Again. Free hams, evidently. Sure, I like ham. I've got a Sharpie. You want me to sign your ham? That's fine, yes. Who do I make it out to? Oh, my God. I'll sign it in honey. Stupid. Sign it in glaze. Sign it in honey or glaze. Both. That's how I prefer it. Delicious. Are you kidding me right now? Real sweet. Stop. I know all the jokes before I even ask them. Yes, I'll take a picture. I'll ham it up for you. Okay.
Gosh, okay. I think we've got enough of that. Gotta ham it to you. Yeah, I think we're good. Thank you. Let's please move on. Have a good one. Let me ask you a question. Can you just fix the yard instead of recognizing me? No. They have to be recognized. What do normal people go through? I mean... I mean, I know I have a shirt on that says, my name is Skye, ask me, but... I mean, please. Terrible. Boo. It's getting to the point where I'm just going to have to have you do everything because if I even speak... Or yell at the top of my lungs. I'm instantly recognized. That's right. Hey, everybody. And I am, me, Sky. And like a grande mocha whatever. Yes, yes. Hello, stranger. How are you? So have you heard the latest about Britney Spears?
Why am I telling you this? She does not do that. I'm sure you already know. Hello, stranger. Did you know that parts of the 78 and 76 were closed for repairs? Because of the rain. I may ask you for $50 someday. Yes. How dare you. Why, hello there, person I've never met. What do you think about the Escondido councilman seeking laws to limit day laborers? Mikey. Just kidding. Come on. I mean, it's so bad, a woman can't even shout out her name at random anymore. Sky! In the house, baby. Hello! How you doing there, stranger? Guess who you're talking to? Sky it up all over this place. Sky time. You recognize me? Oh, hello. How embarrassing. Hello there, stranger. May I sky you a drink? I mean, buy you a drink. May I buy you a drink? Yeah, buy you a drink.
Slip of the celebrity. Yes. Sorry, sometimes I talk about news. It's my job, so I... This is out of control. Okay. You're out of orbit. Out of orbit. The listeners are getting bored. Please move on. SLO, Razzavashions? No. Stop it. Make Razzavashions? And I was... Before I make the Razzavashions, by the way, did you know about all the tons of oil that have just spilled into the yellow seal? No. Sorry, it's just... I can't get my mind off the news. Anyway, it'll be a table for two, and... How cute of you. Just get the throne ready. That's all I'll sit on. Yes, I'll take the table in the back with my back to everyone so I'm not recognized. So I can eat in peace for once. That's right. And if any of the wait staff would like an autograph,
Make sure that they submit them early. I'll sign, then dine. That's the way I do it. Sign, then dine. Sign, then dine! No! You didn't go there! There's a lot more to talk about. By the way, since I've got you on the phone, did you know that Mike Huckabee leads up into second place in the National Geography race? Did you know that? Anywho, 7 p.m. looking good? Stop it! I'll tell you what, I have to give a pause before going to the restaurant, what with considering what happened in Omaha the other day. Oh, you don't know, let me fill you in. It was a terrible, terrible incident. Okay, dude. Oh, mispronounce it for you. Oh, fuck. Really? Please move on. You're boring people. Coming to a knife fight with missiles. All right. We see what's up. Right, Skye? Okay, well, anyway, I'll Skye you later. I'll see you later. I get what you're saying, Ash. All right. We see what's up. Oh, I forgot what we were talking about. Huh?
I lost my place. Well, Eddie's giving me the break sign. So, Steph, can you hit this? I'm going to go to the hallway. No, you're not going anywhere. I was getting a phone call in the other room. No, the phone's not ringing. You're not going anywhere, Mikey. What's happening? Oh, I left my sunroof down. No, your sunroof. You left your sunroof down, by the way. I mean, whatever. Yes, that. It used to be a certain way. Christ came into my life. Hey! Mike, no. Offer a song of Hope on Fridays. Yeah. Someone's chicken. We're not getting out of this. Get together and do it all again, guys. Okay. Never come back. Have a good one. I'll tell you what. The Mikey Show will be right back. Starting 9 a.m. this Friday. It's Guitar Center's 72-hour Guitar-a-thon. If you haven't been to Jared the Galleria of Jewelry yet, it just got easier. Jared is opening its newest store this Saturday at 10 a.m. in National City outside Plaza Bonita Mall. That's Jared. You walk into Jared, there's always someone there that greets you. When people shop at Jared, the selection and service make quite an impression. I thought the selection was really good. Well, the commute is slowly winding up here. We still have some very tough spots, though, because of the rain. So just be careful out there, man. We've got 805 northbound. Kind of scattering a little bit out of Chula Vista up through National City. But once you get into Mission Valley, it's still just a crawl all the way up the hill up to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5 is going to have some heavy traffic out of Chula Vista in the National City here as well.
And then you've got some sort of stuff in towards Mission Bay coming past the airport. South on set of the 15, easing up out of Escondido. A little tighter around Felicita. But then you've got breakouts from Rancho Bernardo off and on all the way down towards Miramisa. The south on set of the 5 is not a bad freeway at all. Now that's cleaned up quite nicely. A little tight around Manchester. The westbound 8 is a little bit tighter as well around the 805 here in Mission Valley. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. We were just in the studio talking about Robbins Brothers. I'm not going to say who was talking about it. Yeah, it was Seth. Because you don't want to give anything away. It was Seth. Well, no, I said you don't want to give it away. Oh, I thought it was Seth. I don't know what guy he's going to propose to, but finally make an honest lady out of him. Somebody had to do it. But one of the questions that was asked was, well, who should I ask for? Anybody. They're all experts there, man, and they can help you with everything. Another question was asked, I don't know anything about rings. What do I get? I didn't either.
I knew nothing about rings. And I walked in there kind of like a dope. And now I kind of feel like I know stuff. I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I know stuff. I can tell you about the cut and the clarity and all that stuff, what it means and the color. I mean, it's all important. And my wife came home yesterday and told me that one of her coworkers said that that is the shiniest ring she's ever seen, ever. And I got it at Robbins Brothers, and you can too. If you're thinking about proposing this holiday season, go on to Robbins Brothers. They're the world's biggest engagement ring store. Give them a call if you need directions or questions or whatever. You can call them at 1-800-610-RING or check out their website, robbinsbrothers.com. Juliette, are you there?
I am here. She's the lead singer of Juliet and the Licks. Where are you right now? Are you in San Diego still or have you left town? I'm in Los Angeles. We drove in last night. Did you have a couple cocktails on the bus? Not really. Not last night because I just got over a crazy chest cold. But we do know how to put our party shoes on. Juliet. A couple of quick questions about... Do you want to know about my party shoes? They're kind of elephant and they have a little belt on them. That's what I was just going to ask you. That's how I pictured it. That's what I was just going to ask you. About the party shoes. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. It's 9.39. It keeps getting worse for former American Idol contestant Jessica Sierra. There's now a sex tape featuring her making the rounds. This will make the Monday Night Football game much more interesting to you guys. The Falcons are going to start Chris Redman at quarterback. Oh, wow.
He went to Louisville, I think, right? He did to the Louisville. Louisville. Hey guys, you need to podcast the Sky making reservations bit. I'm laughing so hard my co-workers are looking at me funny. Mikey, the listeners are not getting bored. Keep it up. Extra bored. We love it. Have a great day. Why do you lie, Sky? Oh. I'm just saying that. You can't speak for them. Most of them are bored. Don't speak for them. It's just that one person. Hey, Mikey, are you going to have Ashley and B-Rob or Zeth compete at the Amazing Race audition at Liberty Station? They're a dynamic duo and would probably make the show. Just a thought, P1 Sandy. Could you imagine Ashley and either one of those two on the Amazing Race? Well, here's what I think. I think that maybe Rob and Ash could get cast.
For sure. Now, if Ash and Zeth went to audition, you would see Ashley being like all this personality and Zeth sitting there quietly. That's true. They would not be able to get a word. They would talk about it later and they would go, well, they were both really good. This would be the producers. They were both good looking people. That girl's definitely got potential. She could make great television. That guy just kind of sat there. He didn't say anything. I don't think they'll fight on the air, which is what we kind of want. She's clearly in charge. She's the dominant. Look at his face. So I don't know how. And did it? Anybody get reminded of Charlie Brown? Yeah. Get that vibe. Then they would say, you know, now that same girl, she auditioned with a little guy. And when they came in, they were actually pretty good. I'm 5'8". We all know this. There seemed to be some sort of, you know, tension between the two of them. I like to be sexual. Yeah, I can't really, you know, make it out. I'm not a hothead, Sean. I don't know. What do you think, Ash? Could you do Amazing Race with either one of these guys? I'm sure she would never get mad at either one of them screwing up directions. No way. Dude. I would never want to do that show anyway. Imagine this. Ever. Because of the flying? Because of all that traveling. Well, the directions part, too. Imagine that they are in Paris, and they're trying to get through the city. And let's say that whatever it is, they've got to get to the Eiffel Tower. Right, right, right. And it's Ashley and Zeth.
And let's say that Ashley's very tired. She's been awake. Stressed out? You're in a race. You're in a race. You're stressed out. She's been awake for 24 hours straight. It's the middle of the daytime. They're filming it in the summer. It's hot. Jet lag. Jet lag. It's hot. And they are right at the end, and they're leading the race. They're right at the end to be able to... And when they get there, they're going to get this great big challenge, right? And all they need is... the final direction to get to where they're going, and Seth left it in the cab, and the cab took off. Oh, dude. Oh, no. Like, I got scared. I got scared. I'm afraid for him. I'm scared right now. This second, like, imagine. My heart's beating fast. Yeah, mine is too. Imagine if they're showing this on, you know, you're watching the TV show, Amazing Race, and Ashley goes, Seth, where's the map? Dude, his face. His face, his eyes would fill up with tears. He'd just immediately start crying. And she would go, and she would see that, And she'd be really comforting, right? She would comfort him. She would say, it's okay, man. What's the opposite of that? We came this far. Don't worry about it. It's okay. What is the opposite of that? The opposite of that would be they would have to bleep. Like, it would be the most bleeps in history. It would be the most bleeps in the history of CBS. But you'd hear idiot in there. Yeah. You know, and they would be saying, like, they've never put that many bleeps in an episode. Are you kidding me right now? Are you?
That would be it. You can't test the race, man. A million dollars. Now, in stark contrast, Ashley and Boston Rob in an amazing race situation, just constant fight. Yeah. Because he would fight back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it wouldn't be, if it was Zeth and Ash, there would be these occasional times where Zeth would just take an absolute pummeling. Absolutely. But if it were Ash and Rob, they would fight. They would be fighting before they started the race. They'd be first out. First out. I actually think Zeth and Ashley could make it for a while based on her. She'd make all the decisions. And so they'd make it for a long way. Ash and Rob, first out. They could not agree on one thing. Because you get these things like detours and stuff where you have to make a decision. Am I going to go this way or am I going to go this way? And, oh, man, that fight would be awesome to watch. Can you imagine, do we go this way or this way? And Rob is 100% sold that he's right. Yeah. And so is she. Yeah. And then imagine if it turned out she was right about it. Oh, man. Good night, Rob. Yeah. Nice knowing you, buddy. And this would be Rob. Okay, I'm stupid, all right? I guess I don't know anything. Well, he's a hothead.
Oh, yeah. No, I'm not. Dream hothead. Nope. They may cast him. A mini mini. But, yeah. Hey, Ash. If you had to choose one. Oh. Oh. Rob or Zeth to be your amazing race partner. My show questionnaire. I love it. Yeah. Who is going to be your amazing race partner? Hmm. That is a really good question. Because they both have. Because I love The Amazing Race. I watch it. And they both, because you've got to be a dynamic player, and they both have their strengths and weaknesses. So, like, what would work better with my strengths and weaknesses? Now, do you agree with our... Do you agree with my appraisal? Do you think that you and Rob would fight right from the very end? Not at all, but I don't know. You don't think that you would fight? Rob and I, like, well, I know, like, recently, but, I mean, I'm not kidding you. Like, in our three years of being, like, as close as we are... Yeah, as being together. Well, I wish. No. Our three years of being as close as we are, I really don't think it's a good idea to get involved with someone that you are on the same show with. Like, that is catastrophic. If that had been the case, Rob and I would already be, like, together for two years. What you were saying? What? No! I don't even remember what I was saying. No, really? So you disagree? You wouldn't fight with Rob? Oh, yeah.
Yeah, so what I was going to say is we never fight. So I totally think that I would probably work better with Rob because Rob and I are closer and he can... And you have a mild respect for Rob. Yes, yes. That's accurate. That's accurate. And I would need someone like Rob who... There's something that resembles respect. Yeah, who I look at as more of an equal. It's a tiny, small choice, but not exactly it. It's like the essence of respect. Whereas... Well, with Zeth, I would literally be scared that halfway through the competition, he'd have a meltdown. I'd be too hard on him, and he'd break down and fall. He'd be doing that the whole time. Snap and cry and just be all dark and weird. And then I'd be scared for my life. It just could go really wrong. Zeth, could you even do it? Could you even go audition for that show with Ashley? No way, right? Wait, let me turn your mic on. Oh, my. Not that it's going to help. No, right. You wouldn't do it, right? No, absolutely not. Huh? Well, I'll tell you what, Mike. I would go there, but then I would... I don't know what you said. I would probably go, but only because... I didn't get that last part. Well, the one part that I really... Oh, gosh. I can't hear you. I'm missing the end. You've got a mic. Use it. She doesn't think it'd be good.
Okay, you started off clear, but then it just broke down. Well, let me tell you. If it were me and Ashley. Okay. Go ahead, take that. Because I know for a fact. You know for a fact what? Still trying to hear it. I do have my strengths and weaknesses. And my biggest strength is... What is your biggest strength? Which I think definitely outweighs the fact that I... You're disgusting. You're trailing up at the best part. The one weakness I'd be scared about would be... It would surprise her that she doesn't even know I can do it. I would be nervous if we were together and... Just shut up. What about if we did some of this? We need a P1 dumb chick. We need a female to call right now to compete in the dumb chick challenge. Eddie, what can they win? We got, like I said, last chance tickets at The Rock Before Christmas tonight, part... Hey, Sky, real quick. Since we were talking about the amazing race and the fact that they're going to be doing those auditions at Liberty Station, do you have any details about it? Yeah, it's tomorrow at Liberty Station. Starts at 8 o'clock in the morning, goes till 4 o'clock in the afternoon. You want to go to the South Promenade, and they're going to give teams of two. Both of you need to show up.
two minutes or less to impress the casting directors there. So you only get two minutes. Wow. Yeah, and there's actually another audition tomorrow in the San Diego area, too. It's for Don't Forget the Lyrics. I think Ashley would be good at that one, too. You should do it, Ash. So that one is tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Big Bertha's in PB. Ah, yes, Big Bertha's. Yes, we know it well. It's my hang. Okay, 570-1053. Give us a call right now. and I need a female P1 to call and play for herself, but I need other people to call and either pick Sky or Ashley to represent them in the Dumb Chick Challenge. This is P1 A-O. A-O. Yes, sir. A-O, who do you want? I'm taking the oyster. Oh, you got the oyster. Let me tell you. Yes. I don't even. Well, Ashley's the oyster. No, I'm not. Oyster in the house. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I'm an oyster. Keep saying it, oyster. How many times? P1 Gary. What's up? You got the ham. I got the ham right off. Hang on. That's not my name. Ham stuffing. We have to have honey. Ooh, if they made that, please. P1 Jen? Yes. You're playing for yourself. Yes, I am. All right. Let's do this. Now, who started last time, Eddie? I believe the caller did. There's some discrepancy, but we're going to go with the caller started last time, so. Sky will begin this time. Sky, your two-point question is. Thank you.
What word did former Vice President Dan Quayle famously misspell? Oh. Yeah, that's right, Skye. It's right on the tip of your tongue. Stoned back then. Yeah, I was really. Was it ham? And I'm being serious. Was it sunburn? Urine? Or is it urino? Urino. I'm trying to think. Uriney. Uriany. Uriany. Nation. Silent you. Rein. Rene. Silent you. That was a good one. Silent you. That was a good one. Renate. Make it stop. I don't know. You don't know? I mean, once he tells me, I'm going to be like, duh. It was potato. Remember, he could not spell potato. Right. Well, it's a tough one. Damn it! Ashley. She's looking at Eddie. Oh.
Eddie's giving a sign. He's calming her down. He's calming her down. Eddie's saying, calm down. Take it easy. Think about it. Ashley is taking that. I don't even know. Eddie's her first base coach. He doesn't have a clue what she says. She said, give her a two. All right, Ashley, your two-point question is, what is the generation name given to people born following World War II? have to repeat that. She's got crinkly nose. She's thinking about it. Should I repeat it? I'll repeat it. I'll repeat it. Just listen to my bass coach. He knows. What is the generation name given to the people born following World War II? Eddie's giving her the sign take your headphones off. Born following the World War II. Uh oh. Yes. Yes. Well said. And such as.
She's thinking. Headphones are off. She's got her elbows up to her head. I don't see it in there. She's squeezing her head. She doesn't see it in her head. Where is she looking? She's looking in her head. Move the dust bunnies. She's looking in her head. She's got bright white teeth. It's all empty space. The only thing that's in there is baby boomers. You are correct. That's it. She's jumping up and down. She's jumping up and down. Look at that. She's so happy. Eddie and I had a whole discussion about this. You did? What was it? Well, Ashley is actually kind of... Let me think. She's so close. Say it. Oh, boy. Of average intelligence. Wait a second. Wait a second. And she's got the information in her head. She just can't ever find it. And so you've got to move things around. It's like a garage. It is. Everything's in there. You can find it, but you've got to move that box out of the way and get the golf clubs out of there. And a lot of times it's in your garage and it's sitting right there. You just don't see it. It's sitting right there. Oh, there it is. Like whoop, there it is. P1 Jen, would you like a one, two, or three point question? I've got to go with two. You got it.
Your two-point question is, what state is Niagara Falls located in? New York. You got it. You make New York. You make New York. Sky. The only person who hasn't scored yet. Oh, no. See, I want to take another two, but I've known the answers to the last two of them, which makes me think that I'm not going to know the answer to this one. Oh, no. But I think a three is too sketchy. Eddie's giving her some indication. Okay, Eddie says a three. Eddie says go with a three. Well, wait, now he's giving Ashley a thumbs up. All right, here you go. Your three-point question, Sky, is what world leader, quote, spoke softly and carried a big stick? Body boo. Oh, okay, Eddie. Come on. You didn't say huge. Spoke softly and carried an enormous stick. Is Roman Oban the leader? Leader on the offensive line. Fine, I'll stick with it. Roman Oban. What world leader, quote, spoke softly and carried a big stick? Truman. That is incorrect. Theodore Roosevelt, Sky. Oh. Teddy. Ashley. Oh, look at Ashley.
She's still kind of glowing over the two-pointer. It's so stressful. Oh, man. She's looking at Eddie. She's saying, really? Is that what I did? It's like watching The Price is Right when you look at these two. She said, give me a two, guys. Your two-point question, Ashley, is what is the top of a forest or jungle called? Oh, Skye knows that one and she's mad. She's mad. She's mad. Skye knows that one. Get your headphones off. Can you say the question one more time? I will. I'll say it a million times if you need me to. What is the top of a forest or jungle called? Ashley. Ashley's taking the headphones off. There they go. She's got the hands up to the head. She's looking inside. She's got the palms of her hands on her forehead. Move that box. Now she's got her head down. She's thinking. It looks like she's holding her breath underwater.
I don't see it, Eddie. It's probably behind the dryer. She's looking. It's not coming to her. In fact, nothing. Nothing at all. Can't see anything. She shook her hair right in front of her face like a thing. Hey, what came to the top of your head? What came to that? Anything? That's right, Ashley. It's called the topper. I'm sorry. Nothing. Sky, what is it? Canopy. That is correct, Sky. Ashley, I'm sorry. It's the canopy. They call that the canopy. I've never in my life heard that. Wow. Yes. I mean, I know a canopy. You can put a canopy, like, on a beach. It's like a tent. I know that. That's kind of, you get the idea. You know what a canopy looks like, you know, when they put it on the beach? Same thing in the jungle. You know, when you look down in the jungle, it always... Forget it. No. All right, Jen. It's a topper. It's a topper. Shut up, Sean. All right, Jen. What do you want? A one, two, or three-point question? Two. You got it. Your two-point question is, who shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco?
That is correct. Killing it. She only needs one more point, right? That's correct. Sky's still the only person who hasn't scored. That's true. I got canopy, which wasn't my question. Sky, you can do it. Give me a two. Sky, your two-point question is, where were the last Summer Olympics held in 2004? Okay, so we're in Beijing coming up, so obviously it's not there. So, Beijing. It's not there. I'd say Greece, but definitely not Atlanta. I don't know, Greece. The 2004 Summer Games took place in Athens, Greece. Sky, you are on the board. Ashley. Oh, man. She's blinking. She's blinking. There's only one move here, guys. Wait, wait, wait.
She wants a three-pointer. She wants a three-pointer. Fingers crossed, everyone. He wins. Come on. Ashley, your three-point question is, who was the mayor of San Diego prior to Jerry Sanders? Who was the mayor of San Diego prior to Jerry Sanders, our current mayor? The colonel is our mayor now, the colonel. That's right. I call him the colonel because his name is Mayor Sanders. So I call him Colonel Sanders. Nobody really does. I do. And the mayor before Colonel Sanders. Eddie's already given me the sign for dang it. I'm bummed at the question. Because I think it's just not her strong suit. Questions, you know. Check it back! Information. General knowledge. She has a hard time with questions. Please. Of any sorts. She's a lot better with statements. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. If you say something, she'll agree with it. Okay. Headphones are off. Headphones are off. I don't know why. Headphones are off. She's thinking. I think it may be in there. It'll blow me away if she gets this. She might remember it. It may be in there. I know it starts at the M. M. Night Shyamalan. You know it starts at the M? Just say it. It's like... Yes.
It's like Michael Hutchins. Like, I don't know, but I do. I can't find it in my garage. I'm sorry, Ashley. The former mayor of San Diego, the mayor before Jerry Sanders, was Dick Murphy. Like, that name rings a bell now that you say it. That's right. See, and it was an M, so we thought you had it. It was Mermic cheese. Jen? Yes. One, two, or three point. Well, you only have a one. That's all you need. I'll go with the one. Get it, girl. Here is your one point question. What is the most northeastern state in the continental United States? The most northeastern state in the continental United States. Maine. That is correct. Oh, that is correct. Yeah, Bubba.
P1 Jen, you have won for yourself. Eddie, what did Jen win? She won the Rock Before Christmas tickets. Oh! Awesome! You're going to the Rock Before Christmas, Jen. Great. Hang on the line. Ashley is just sick over that last question. It was right there on the tip of her tongue. Do you know that I have not won a Dump Trick Challenge since before Rob stopped playing? Is that the truth? I've only won three times, period. We've been playing this game for like six years. Seven months. I love you, Michael. I love you, too. What are you even talking about? The Mikey Show. Rock 105.3. Tecate Light, the number one cerveza light in Mexico, is now available here in the United States. To ensure that Tecate Light remains true to its Mexican cerveza roots, we will not refer to Tecate Light as light b****. We feel its Mexican flavor and attitude are much too bold to be referred to as an ordinary light b****. In fact, to our censors, b**** is a four-letter word. They didn't even allow b**** to be mentioned in the same commercial as Tecate Light. Not even to explain the difference between b**** and cerveza. So as you can hear, all references to b**** have been censored for your protection in order to avoid any unintended association between light b****.
Tecate Light Cerveza. Tecate Light, Mexico's number one cerveza light. It's not **** cerveza. Enjoy Tecate Light responsibly 2007. Cervezas Mexicanas, White Plains, New York. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. And she went to the Curti Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on Costco mattress. Sleep Can was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something.
I think Sean should hit it. I said K-I-O-Z San Diego. K-I-O! Hey! Good job, Shelly, a boy. Chill town. The Rock Before Christmas is tonight. Woo-hoo! And there are two tickets available left to buy. That's all you can buy now out there. No, I think there might be a couple more. There's six left to buy. Give it a shot. There's a couple. Not very many. There's a couple. You better do it. Come on.
If you have any guts. Yeah, it's going to be an awesome show. Are you gone? Oh, well, I've got stuff going on. I've got to meet with my accountant. Wow, figures. Balance the checkers. Skye, how could you set yourself up for that? I was trying to figure out who I was meeting with tonight. I mean, of course. Yes, I've got to meet with my banker. My ham butcher. Yeah, you might as well. You might as well. I've got to meet with him. I am, Butcher. Oh, it's so funny when you make fun of Skye. Put it on the board. Put that on the board. That's going to make a good clip. Oh, yeah, I bet it will. Good clip. Whoa, what you got there? Where did that come from? Something noisy. What? You opening a candy bar or what do you got? Yeah, I just opened up a candy bar. Did that sound like that? Yeah, well, it sounded like you were doing something over there. Breaking eggs. Making a cake? Yeah, I'm making a cake over here. Cool. Nice. What flavor? Chocolate. Lovely. My favorite flavor of cake is kind with German chocolate frosting because it has coconut in it. Really? Tastes good to me. I'm a carrot cake fan. Yeah. Very similar to spice cake, which I like too. Carrot cake, spice cake, very similar.
Yeah, Debra's strawberry cake. It's the best in the West. That's good, too. You just said carrot cake, though. What's your favorite cookie, Sky? Magic's wife. What? Name's Cookie. Wow, random knowledge. I think I enjoy the oatmeal chocolate chip ones that I make. Ooh, that sounds good. Well, you've had them like 800 times, so... Well, you said it sounded good like you've never had one before. I'm not fighting you! I don't even know where to begin to apologize. Well, thank you. I accept your apology. Thank you. I'm very sorry. Wow. Ray Liotta just pled guilty to, or just got a plea deal in his DUI. So what he ended up doing is pleading no contest to reckless driving as part of the deal. I'm drunk. He would have, you know, gone to jail, but he'll just get three years probation and have to do alcohol education programs. Jump in my car. No, no. Not with you, man. He drove his car into two parked cars. Oh, no. And that's what got him in the trouble. Jump in my car. Yeah. Well, it...
If it's Kit, then, you know, it doesn't matter if you're drunk or not, because Kit will drive for you. Yeah. You know? Hello. But why would Ray Liotta be in Kit? Well, because David Hasselhoff is telling him to jump in his car. Okay. Get out. My bad. I'm trying to get him home. See? Hasselhoff wants to take Ray Liotta home. Yes. Hello. In Kit. A little weird, but okay. I would have gone. Okay, Hasselhoff's getting it. Yes! I'd have loved to have been there doing the writing or recording session for Jumpin' Michael. So awesome! Can you imagine the writing process there? Running the board. Yes, running the board for it. Making sure that treble's just right. It has to be just right. Bass is taken away from the vocal? Yes. A little bit. Bring it down a little bit, the bass. Bring the bass down a little bit. Come on, Marty. So good. Jeez. Wow. What is...
being released in movie theaters this weekend. There's only one movie that's being released in wide release. Well said. That's what I'm here for. Allow myself to introduce. It's The Golden Compass with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. Here is Tom Cruise's ex-wife talking about what drew me to it. Cut 60. What drew me to this was that it has the intricacies of the characters allow strong performances. And that's what I found. Is she not Australian anymore? I guess not. She quit that. Actually, yeah, she quit. She gave it up. She went all British last year. You start vegetarian, then you become vegan eventually. Well, she saw that Madonna got to do it, so she's like, why shouldn't I? Yeah, she's like, shouldn't everyone be British? Let's see.
Let's take a listen to a clip from the film, cut 59. What is your name, child? What is your name? Lyra Balacqua. It's Gandalf, too. I will serve you in your campaign until I'm dead. Oh, wait, that's Magneto. Have a victory. Fantasy films. Always Sir Ian McKellen. Yeah, speaking like this. Fantasy films. There must always be eyes adoring to child. You in that movie. Comforting. Yeah, it's very comforting. Apparently this movie, man, it's very controversial. Satanic. Yes. Is it anti-God? Is it not anti-God? Yeah, that's what I heard. Sorry, it's a remix of the Mikey show. What was that? It's this microphone. Well, stop it. How do you know? I don't know how to fix it either. I don't know how you can go and not have that happen. That's not what just happened. Yeah, that's way different.
A certain level. I give it a certain low frequency. Something too. Ghost. Ghost in the machines. I don't know what's up with this. I don't know what to do with the microphone. I've told Sean about it. Sean says you could do something, but you have to get this piece of machinery to do that. Yeah, to do that. And you can stop doing this. And then that thing. I'll cut off this part of the compression of the compression. I don't know. I give up with it. I love the way it sounds, but if there's a frequency it doesn't like, or if you make a blow into it or whatever, and that's a part of my shtick, you know. I like to blow into the microphone from time to time. You see? Sean, what are we hearing when it does that? Ghost. Yeah, Sean. I still think it's a ghost. To me, that sounds like a wiring issue. Yeah.
wiring. All I know is that this microphone doesn't like it. Yeah. But you know what is weird is it just recently started doing that. Like, you've had this mic for a while. So maybe... Zeth probably dropped it. Zeth! Thank you. Oh my god. Maybe I'm just saying something happened. Damn it! Someone did something. I know where you're going, Ashley. Thank you, Eddie. I knew you did. I'm just trying to sit here. Ben's dead, baby. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt. I didn't. What? You did or you did not? Wait. Do it. I already answered that. I said that I... What? Trailed off. Yeah, right there at the end. You're the worst. Well, maybe you're the... Maybe the what? Maybe I'm the what, Seth? How high up are you? Oh, Norman. Dude, how's the view? Yeah, how's Mount Soledad look? How's the landslide? It's gorgeous. Is it raining more up there? So, Rob, how are you feeling about this guarantee that Anthony Smith made? Yeah. Whatever.
Yeah. Here's what Tom Brady said. Cut 69. Yeah. Yeah, we heard about it. I think everybody on the team's heard about it. You know, it always comes down to who plays better. Well done is always better than well said. Well said. Well said. Here's what Junior Seau of the Patriots thought. Junior Seau. What do you think, Junior? Cut 71. I'm too old for all that. I'm not going to chase these kids. I mean, they're going to say what they want, you know. Come Sunday, all the talk is going to be between the white lines. And it always is. Sage Old Wise Jr. That's right. Well said. He wins. With his overpriced teriyaki burger. Listen, I win. You're telling me, what, $17 for a hamburger is too much? Well, I guess for certain people. You know, San Diego. Yeah. It is pretty expensive. I could afford it easily. Well, you guys can't afford a $13 salad. I mean, come on. Stop it. It's delicious. I eat a bite, throw the rest on the floor. On the floor? It tastes better that way. A salad is meant to be savored and then wasted. Plus I get to laugh at the busboy as he cleans it up.
That's always a good time. It's like having a bunch of man servants. That's right. Come here, Manwego, whatever your name is. Manwego? No. What's your name over here? Stop it. Manwego? Manwego? Look at you. Why would you... What are you, Leguizemo? Leguizamo? Oh, gosh. Manwego? Come on. Say your name over there, one. It's Bill. Oh, really? Yeah. Really? Yes, and my name is Somali Roll. Okay, well. Really, Bill, eh? Can I see your papers? Well, it's my name tag right here. Can I see your identity? I don't have papers. I'm not talking about that fake name tag. Ma'am, I'm from San Diego, ma'am. Green card, produce it. But I don't have one. Really? Well, yeah, I'm born and raised. Really, Leguizamo? Manwego. Manwego. Why would you think my name is? Because I'm looking at you. All right, chickenismo. No. Huh? It's William. Yeah. Can I see some identification, please? Here you go. Let me take a look at that. Where'd you get this fake thing from? Your homeland. Yeah. Whose social security card did you steal to make this? P1 Hitman. Hello. Hitman, are you there?
Yeah, I hear you. What's up? I just wanted to plug P1Site.com's having an informal meet at Dave & Buster's later tonight at about 7 o'clock. You guys called about it the other day, and I was going to mention it, and the only reason I didn't is because I thought that it was kind of, I got the vibe, it was just a P1 site thing and not open to everybody and the whole public, but it is, huh? No, it's open to all P1s. Sweet. And the kids are going tonight, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ashley and Zeth are going to go and hang out. They're going together. Awesome. That's right. What time is it? Well, it's kind of informal. No, I meant right now. I just don't have a watch on. What's on the topic is 7 o'clock. Yeah, me and Zeth are going to go at 7. 7 o'clock. Yeah. Very nice. And yeah, it was organized by P1Site.com and people should go check it out. It's at Dave and Buster's. Hey, thanks, guys. And I just want to ask Skye, does she need an accountant for all her money? Because that's what I do. Yes, I do. No, no, I'm fine. I have a team of accountants. Come on. If you're going to tell a joke, they're hit, man. I worked for ham. That was a good one. I have to admit, that was a good one. If only it were true. I wish you could slice ham so daintily thin that you could put it in an envelope and send it to me. If only...
Oh yeah, they do. It's called prosciutto. Send me your prosciutto. You take the ham and you slice it paper thin. Okay, Mike. Put it in some paper. It's time to go now. And you put it in an envelope. Testimony, we're out. And you send it here. Thank you. My mouth is watering. You just said, Eddie, you were going to stop. Oh, I did? Yes, remember when you looked at me and you're like, okay, I'm done, Scott. I forgot. Well, it was like 30 seconds ago. You could always drop off dinner rolls. P1 matches. Hey. What's up? Not much. I was just calling in about this Golden Compass movie. It's getting a lot of flack saying it's anti-religious, like anti, basically like anti-religion, but I feel it's more anti-religious establishment, kind of more against the actual churches and how things get corrupted with people in power.
Well, the guy that wrote it is an atheist and thinks... Yeah, he's an atheist and an agnostic. I understand that. And he thinks that religion is a joke. Well... Yeah, he wrote the book, not the... Regardless of what he thinks, I read the three books a couple years ago, and when you read into them, I mean, it talks a lot about... It does have religious connotations in it. It's not... I'm not saying it's like... pro-religion, but it's definitely not anti-religion. Here's the deal. Here's what I don't get about the people that are calling and saying this, and Talyn did the same thing. What's the deal, Mike? The deal is, is that like the Narnia books, the guy is clearly a Christian that wrote them, and he's got no qualms about it. He goes, hey, listen, the books are loosely veiled to be stories that are about God. With this one, everybody's like, hey, hey, hey, don't, no, no, no. Like... Why don't people stand up and say, if it's atheist with atheist overtones, stand up and say, it is. It's anti-God, it's anti-religion, and that's what it is. Yeah, the way I understand it is the dude who wrote the books, like, that's what he's saying. But then the people who turned it into a movie tried to take that element out of it a little bit and make it more mainstream. And so they're saying, hey, we made this movie for the mainstream. Okay. Why don't they call it what it was originally called? What was that, Eddie? Satanic Versus. Yes. Well, Eddie.
Just because you're atheist doesn't mean that you're insane. Yeah, you don't have to go around. No, it's not the same thing. Thank you for the call. That's what I heard. Well, you were misinformed, sir. Remember, you just said you weren't going to run. P1 Ray is on the line. Yeah, hey, Mikey, what's going on? What's up, man? I just wanted to let you know that I listen to the show every day, and I've got my grandma hooked on it, man. She listens to you guys every morning. Your grandma lives listening right now? What up, grams? That's pretty cool. What up, Nana? That's cool. I'm listening right now, so thank you. Grandma. Big ups, Nana. Thank you very much. I appreciate it, and I appreciate you turning on new P1's The Mikey Show. For sure. Thanks. P1. Rob. Oh, no. Oh, no. I don't know. I was right about to say it. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know what to take that P1 name as. Rizzy. I don't know. It's just kind of strange. I don't know. Let's call you P1 Anonymous. What's up? Hello? Oh, and then he's not even there. I know it. Oh. Oh, he was. Oh, well. What, his name? Yeah, I don't know, man. Sometimes some of these P1 names seem a little, like, I'm not sure about them. But like that, like, I really don't get it. I know. We'll discuss. We'll discuss off the air. Definitely. We'll discuss off the air. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, we will, Mike. Yeah, I'll tell you, Mike. You know what, Mike? I can guarantee you we will. How do you like that? Really? Yeah, we're going to have a discussion, all right.
Mark it down. Yeah. Put it on the board. Yeah. I think we're done. I think we've hit on everything. Sky, is there one story on here that we didn't get to that you think is really good? No, I mean, we covered most stuff. Just, you know, big storm coming in. If you're in any of the fire affected areas. Hunker down. Be careful. Watch out for it. Hunker. Hunker? Yeah. Mudslides and stuff. Oh, this one was kind of cool. The eBay announced their top celebrity and sports sellers. Yeah. Of what? 07? Yes. So what's like most celebrity stuff sold? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would say... And sports? Sports people. Well, one is a celebrity and one's a sports celebrity. Okay. And so it's not team. No. It's... Okay. Individual. Tiger Woods. No. Michael Vick. No. Um... Favre. No. Wish. Wish. Tam Brady. No. Jarius Warwood. Yes. Barry Bones. Is that right? I mean... Barry Bones? Yes. Barry Bones is the answer. Hey! Really? He had over 145,000 items sold associated with him on eBay.
Syringes and whatnot. One included a grilled cheese sandwich that sold for $30. His grilled cheese sandwich? That the seller claims Barry's 756th home run ball bounced off the sandwich. And it sold on eBay for $30. That's awesome. Are you kidding me? That is awesome. That's nuts. Celebrity. Lindsay Lohan. Star Jones. No. Wait. Crush It. Yep. Crush It was number one. Yep, the sushi was tight and it sold. The tight sushi sold for $30. Yep. Britney Spears. Yes, Ashley, you are correct. With Britney Spears, she had... I said it. I need to see the picture, the photo finish of who got it. It was Ashley. I was saying it, and she interrupted me. I think Eddie was there by nose. She was interrupting me. Ashley wins, and Britney had over 34,000 items associated with her soul, things like lighters with her pictures on them. She's not well right now. Oh, I've heard that. It's sad. All right, let's go. There it is.
570-1053, beginning and end of every show. We do an open phone segment. You can call about whatever you want. And don't forget, tonight is the rock that struck back and part dough. Huh? When the concert attacks. Yes, when concerts come back. Oh, yeah, you're right. No. Part 15. Tonight's our big Christmas show. It's called The Rock Before Christmas, and tickets are still available. Sky says only... Eight tickets are remaining. I didn't say that. And so if you want to go. Get on it. I didn't say that. I say seize the day. That's what I say. Coppe diem. Right. She could pronounce that. Mikey. I'm not reading it. Mikey show. Hello. Hello. Yes. Hey, this is P1 stay home at dad. What's up? Stay home dad. I was just saying that stuff you had Robbie yesterday was that was pretty disgusting, dude. I can't believe you ate it before, Mikey. Yeah, that's right, man. Menudo's good. That's what tripe is, is menudo. Oh, and my favorite comment was from Eddie. He talked about the fat taco. That was the best part. Stay at home, Dad. Your children can hear you. Yeah, stay at home, Dad. Keep it clean, dog. That was supposed to be under the radar, man. I'm going to get a phone call. Yeah, I'm writing down yesterday's time and today's time. Mikey Show.
I wanted to know if that lady ever had faxed over or emailed that from the Cheaters Hotel yesterday. She did not. She did not. She did not. And, yeah, we wrote back. A listener wrote me and asked me about that, and I said I'm not holding my breath. I don't think we're going to get any of that. Yeah, I didn't think so. Thank you very much. Thank you. Mikey Show. Hello. Hello. Are there any more tickets for the Miller Lite thing? Because I heard they were gone, and then the commercial keeps coming on. Miller Lite thing? The Miller Lite discount tickets. I have an answer. Oh, wait. Ashley, you got it. If Eddie knows, then. No, go ahead. Who's got it? You got it. Can somebody? Ashley knows. You have the con. Does somebody know? Oh, I was going to look it up, but if Eddie knows off the top of my head. The answer is no. No, we didn't. Good. Okay. No, we didn't. I'm sorry. Eddie knows. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, doggies. Hey, you guys got some... Remember... Remember, like...
Is that Chris Farley? What happened? I don't know. He couldn't get it out there. I wanted him to, but he couldn't get it out. End of the show's on Friday. I do something called giving you my testimony. It's a fancy way of saying, I tell you how I came to change. Because if I hadn't changed, I would not be doing the show right now. In fact, I was thinking about it the other day. I was thinking, I wonder what would have happened. Let's say... I never had that conversation that night with God. Let's say I never stopped drinking. I wonder what would have happened. And I thought about it, and I thought, well, there would not have been a show, and I would have let a lot of people down, including my friends in the room right now. I would have let a lot of people down. And I'm sure they'd be okay. They're all talented. You guys are talented. You would have gone on to do great things. It's just that it would have sucked for me. I got to tell you, man, there were a few times when I couldn't get a hold of you.
And I was worried about you and Sky 2 where I would go over to your house to check up on you. And I fully was expecting to find my best friend like dead. And it was the worst feeling that I've ever felt in my life. I know my parents felt the same way. And the thing that made me finally one night have a conversation with God and say, please change this. And please rescue me from myself was because I, one night, figured that out for myself. I knew I was going to die. I knew I was going to die. At one point, I was so addicted to alcohol that I was drinking it. And I was getting sick. I was throwing up just so that I could put it back in. And then I would pass out and I would wake up and I would drink again. And I would get sick and I would drink again, pass out, wake up. And sometimes I remember one time, Eddie... Every once in a while, I'll tell you something I've never told you before. I remember a Christmas. We're coming up on where we're going to be getting off for Christmas break. And I remember a Christmas where we were off. We had taken time off. We're going to be off for a few weeks. And I remember thinking to myself, I can now drink without limits. I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow.
And I remember being up at 3 o'clock in the morning and just drinking and drinking. And I was having to wrap presents. And I remember thinking, like, what a secret existence I was living in. Where 3 o'clock in the morning, I'm wrapping presents. Nobody knows what's going on except for me. And it was miserable. Miserable. And I remember being embarrassed and ashamed of myself. And there was so much shame, embarrassment, being secret. knowing I was going to die because I was drinking so much. And one night allowed Jesus Christ to come into my life and just start to change me. And it's been a process. I mean, it's still a process today. But one thing that I was never able to say is that today I'm actually happy. Take that golden compass. Last night I was washing my kids' hair.
And I was using that Johnson & Johnson stuff because it doesn't sting his eyes. No tears. No tears, dude. No tears. I was putting that stuff in his hair and I looked at him. I looked into his eyes and I thought, oh my goodness, I could have never seen you. I just, I mean, that's heavy. Can't even imagine it. And there are people that are listening right now that are in the same situation. And I'm telling you that there is a kid that you may lose out on because... You're in this situation that you're in. And all I do is I tell you my story. The answer for me was to give my life to Jesus Christ. And I did. And every single day, he blesses me with more and more and more. And every day, I get to hear a new giggle from my son. I get to come in and do this job another day. It's an amazing thing. There are a lot of people listening right now that do not have hope. They're here in San Diego and they moved somewhere, from somewhere. They're lonely today.
There are people that just lost a family member. There are people listening that are going through a divorce or a breakup with a boyfriend or a girlfriend. There are people listening right now that are addicted to cocaine or addicted to alcohol or addicted to something. There are people that are listening right now that are doing a job that they are humiliated by and that they compromise their morals and they hate it and they wake up the next day and they feel bad about themselves. People that are listening right now that are doing that. Right now, as I'm saying this, you're going, oh man, that's me. You feel like you may not have hope. So on Fridays, I play this song by third day called Tunnel and ask you to please listen to the words to the song. The song is about hope. And the message is, at least for me, Jesus Christ saved my life, changed my life, and made my life happy when it used to be dark, lonely, and miserable.
Song is called Tunnel. It's by Third Day. Enjoy. We'll see you back here again on Monday. The Mikey Show is out.
