Monday, 6.06. A total of five people are dead after two shooting sprees at separate Colorado church facilities yesterday. Has everybody recovered from that crazy Chargers game yesterday? They have three and a half quarters of bad football, but come back to beat the Titans in overtime, 23-17. What a weird game. Crazy. Did you see, Eddie, at the end of the game, like, physically just wasted? Albert Haynesworth was? Yeah. Like, those guys on a Tennessee Titans defense were just like, they looked like they were ready to puke. Yeah. They were in a street fight with the Chargers for four quarters, man. It was nuts. It was. I mean, you talk about hard-hitting, physical, crazy, just like...
beating the heck out of each other yeah and i cannot wait to talk to sean merriman today because apparently how he got injured was a cheap shot and that they went after him because of what happened with vince young Vince Young, he made this run where he wasn't looking and ran into Sean Merriman. But Sean Merriman didn't light him up or anything. He just kind of ran into him. And Sean even tried to hold him up. Well, the Titans thought that that was a cheap shot on Merriman's part. And so apparently they went after him and took his knees out. How bad is it? They don't know yet. He's going to have an MRI today. So hopefully it's not too bad. I didn't want him in the game. With that calf, because if I were a head coach, I would be the guy that would say, get it better. Yeah. Because I don't want to make it worse. But you would have to convince Sean of that. Yeah. There's no way. It's like Brett Favre. You know how Brett Favre doesn't want to end the streak? Yeah. And I'm thinking to myself, well, yeah, but I want you real bad for the playoffs. Yeah. I don't want you to get worse. If you get worse, we're done. Right. So please, do me a favor. Stay at home and light a fire and snuggle up. Yeah. Well, now that the...
The division is basically wrapped up. Maybe they'll sit him for the next couple games. No reason to play him. Well, hi, everyone. Let's get the show rolling. I had a pretty crazy weekend. Sean knows a little bit about it because I've been talking to him about this external hard drive issue. My external hard drive, I think, is going to have to go to a data recovery place. Because my computer doesn't see it anymore. Whoa. Yeah, I know. That's weird. And it's got all the pictures of Jake, which have been getting backed up by an online storage company. You know, it automatically takes them. The only thing that wasn't backed up was the video. We've taken a lot of video of him. And I put some of the video on DVD, but some of it I didn't. So I'm really worried about the video of him.
So I'm going to work with Sean a little bit more on it to try to get the computer to see it. But I might have to take it to one of these data recovery places. And I want a new computer. I'm getting a Mac. I told Rebecca, we got to get a new computer. I hate computers. I think that they're so stupid. Yeah, I'm doing the same thing. You are? I hate my computer now. You do? But I've had it. Your home computer? My home computer. How long you had it? Since Dallas. So like 2000. And it's just so junky. I feel like I'm working on like an Atari. Well, I have a love affair with computers, yet I hate them. I just hate them. And I just wish that technology was 10 years ahead of where it is now. And everybody thinks technology is great. And we're really, you know, we're really come a long way. Whatever. Give me what's coming in 10 years.
Sky, you don't care about that stuff, huh? Nah, as long as I can send an email and make a Word document, I'm good. Really? Yeah. I spent so much time watching my Apple TV over the weekend, just watching movie trailers and YouTube. There's a YouTube button on there. You hit YouTube, and you can go on there, and your whole TV screen is filled up with YouTube. And if you connect it to the internet and you have any kind of high speed, it's so fast and instant. And you're watching all these and you can search on there for everything. It's YouTube right there on your TV. It's just so interesting and cool and fun. I watched about a million hours on Mike Huckabee and politics and did that. Went to the movie this weekend. Saw Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. With Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke playing his brother because they're almost like twins. Well, yeah. Identical. They look like identical twins, really. Yeah. Ethan Hawke and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Marissa Tomei is in it. And Albert Finney's in it. And I thought it was good up until the end. But I liked it. But I'm never going to the movie. I thought you didn't want to go to the movie. No, I'm going to tell you. After this experience. Oh, no. After this experience on Saturday.
I will never go to a movie theater ever again. Never. I don't want to go through it. It's a terrible experience. What about tonight? Yeah, aren't we going tonight? Remember? Yeah. Okay, so I'll go tonight. But then after tonight, forget it. That's it. We believe you. Don't you always go to a movie on Christmas? Yeah. Are you going to go this year? Well, yeah, but that's because that's tradition. But I guarantee you this, 26th. Wait a minute. 26th is the day that There Will Be Blood comes out by Paul Thomas Anderson. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's my favorite movie director. So maybe like 08. Well, 27th. December 27th. Okay. Because there's nothing. Until the new year. Yeah. Like you're done for the year. No, dude. I'm done for good. I'm done for good. I'm done. I'm done. At that point. No more. Put up a Christmas tree. Here, here, here. Real one? No. Artificial. Looks fake. Yeah, what are you going to do? Looks fake. They have this stuff you can spray on it that makes it smell real. The pine spray. What do you think of that stuff? Probably causes cancer. Probably carcinogenic. Sky says that
Be careful with the Christmas lights you're putting up because they've got lead in them and it's bad for kids. Come on. Leave us alone. Stop using number two pencils, too. All right. So don't let the kids touch the Christmas lights. A new study shows. Do them yourself. Wear gloves when you do them. Wear gloves. And if you or the kids do touch them, make sure you wash your hands before you eat anything. Oh. Who knew? Now you've got to wash your hands? Who wants to do that? No problem. I played in a poker tournament Saturday night. I did terribly. I knew it before I went. Tonight is a bad night. Tonight's a bad night. Did terribly. There was a guy there in a wheelchair. He had a sling on his arm. Putting up Christmas lights. This was what happened to this guy. Oh, that's how he got hurt? That's how he got hurt. Oh, man. Cracked his...
pelvis. Oh, God. Broke his arm. He said he fell all the way from the roof onto the driveway. Cement driveway. And when he came down, he came down with his elbow bent and so, bam, straight onto the pavement on his elbow and just shattered the elbow. That's always fun. I said, did it hurt? Yeah. He said, no. The body went into shock. That was why I asked. I really did ask. I said, did it hurt? He goes, uh-uh. I thought that would be his answer. When you get hurt real bad sometimes, your body goes into shock and releases these endorphins and you don't feel the pain right that second. I said, what about this? Does this hurt when I do this to it? What about that? Does that hurt? What about that right there? Wow, poor guy. So let's introduce everybody. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 37 years old. I'm thinking, guys, about just letting my hair grow. See what happens. What does it look like? What'll happen? What? No, you're not. What does it look like? Do it. Do it. What's going on there? That'd be awesome. I would say no. What's going on? Do it. Do it. I would say no. Let's see what's happening. Afro. I would say no. Get a permanent. Yes, diet. I'm going to do dreads like Rob. Oh, gosh. Like Rob did. It'll be bad.
Eddie is our producer and sports guy, and he's 34. How was your weekend? It was pretty mellow. Watched UFC Saturday night, and then immediately afterwards watched the Floyd Mayweather fight. What a night. That was awesome. It was perfect. Is that Mayweather fight pretty cool? You know, it was a dirty, kind of rough fight. fight you know where the the two guys wrestled mostly for for nine rounds and then the 10th round mayweather just beautiful punch caught him and knocked him out but i was really the only reason why i bought that fight i'm a boxing fan but it's been you know it's been rough lately boxing's been so terrible the only reason why i got that fight is because hbo ran this 24 7 series where it followed like their training camps and it sold me I got interested in the fight. I'm like, you sons of guns. Isn't that the smartest thing, doing that thing? It was unbelievably smart because it worked on me. This Ricky Hatton guy was from England. It was kind of like a Rocky story where he's kind of like this pudgy England guy and he was taking on Apollo Creed and Floyd Mayweather who's all about Flash and money and all this stuff. Because of the show, were you rooting for Hatton? I was really rooting for Hatton. Really?
loaded with English fans. Yeah. And so the entire fight, they're doing these chants. Right. It was like a soccer match. Wow. It was really fun to watch. It was really fun to watch. Where was it? In Vegas. Really? You saw it too, Ash? Yeah, me and Rob and Zeth went to the bullpen and watched it. Sweet. That's awesome. It was a really good fight. I actually was thoroughly entertained. Sweet. How about UFC? Who fought in that? It was the Ultimate Fighter finale, which was pretty fun, but they had probably the fight of the year in Roger Huerta, who is lightweight. He was the guy that was on the cover of Sports Illustrated when Sports Illustrated finally did a story on MMA and UFC. And he took on this guy named Clay Guida, who is like Cro-Magnum, man. He's got this crazy long hair, and he fights like I wish everybody fought. Full board. Three rounds of just, like, he's crazy. Like, he just goes in there and just battles you. And he was winning the fight. And Roger Wirtz is, like, the next big thing. And so everybody was kind of freaking out that Roger Wirtz is going to lose. And third round, Roger Wirtz came back and won the fight. And it was awesome. It was a great fight. Really? Yeah, really good. That's cool. Yep. You guys, I'm going to be. Oh, come on.
Beto? I'm going to be on the next season of Ultimate Fighter. Well, how could that be when you're only 14 years old? Beto. Whatever, dude, I'm 19. You're not 19. You know you have to train to be on that show. It's hard. Dude, I did. You trained? Yeah, really. And I got accepted. No, you didn't. No, you have to be an adult. You're only 14. Dude, I'm 19. Oh, let me see your ID then. I left it in my car, dude. You don't even have a car. You don't have a permit. You have nothing. Dude, I left it in my bitchin' IROC. Oh, yeah. That's not even... You did not. Forget it. And I'm gonna be on that show, dude. Right.
And my style, bro, is like Brazilian jiu-jitsu. That's your style? Yeah, dude. Like, I'm a ground and pounder. You don't even know what that means. Dude, and I'm going to be one of those dudes that shows up the first night and I'm going to make controversy, bro. Really? By partying too much? Yeah, dude. They're going to be all filming me cutting coke. No. First of all, that's illegal. You're going to go to jail. And I'm going to be all... Get that camera out of my face while I snort coke, dude. Yeah, that's not cool. It doesn't go like that. That doesn't make you cool. And then you're going to see Beto walking around the house, dude. And I'm going to be all naked and everything. Why would you be naked? Dude, I'll be all drunk on coke. That's not even. I'll walk around the house, dude. And they'll have to digitally block out my stuff. I'll be all drunk on coke walking around. Who wants what? Who wants what? You're right. Like some of me, dude. Okay. No, thank you. No. That's my nephew, Beto. He's the worst. Out of control. Skye is 30 years old, and she does news for us. She has naturally curly hair. She is of Irish and Italian descent. Wow. And I'll tell you what. She loves to drink, and she's got a temper. I'll tell you that. That's true. I'll tell you that. That's true. Neither of us are.
This guy's got a sweater on today. Yep, a little chilly out there, Mike. That's right. It was cold today. You see all the snow up on the mountains? Yeah, it's low. I know it. It must have been really cold over the weekend. Sean is our sound effects guy, 37 years old, likes undershirts. We look at him on a camera. He's up in the Bay Area, connects via satellite. We look at him, and then we stare, and we look. We stare, and we look, and we look at him. He loves that. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 24 years of age. She's a young woman. She's a single woman. And she is a successful woman at 24 years of age. Got a good job. She's got benefits. She's got insurance benefits. Wow. Yeah. Thank you. Do you have a 401k? Not yet. You've got to get one of those. I've been looking into that. Oh, you have to. Let me tell you, Ash. A million people told me this, and I swear to you, I swear to you, this is the truth. Please hear me. Yes, I can hear you. When they say, do it young, I swear to you, you'll regret it. Like when you're 32, you'll go, oh, I should have done it. If only I had done it. Well, I have an eye ray. Damn it!
You do? I have an IRA, and I've had that forever. That's good. But I'm going to get a 401k on top of that as well. Yeah, there's no reason not to. I wish I had listened to people. Like, I really do. Everyone said do it now, and I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but when we were 24, we weren't making any money, though. That's true, too. That's true, too. Boston Rob is our phone screener. He's a really nice kid. He used to have dreadlocks, but cut them off. So now he's just got a short haircut. He is our lovable little phone screener. He's a good man. A mini-mini. And then there's Zeth. And Zeth is 22 years of age. He's the youngest guy on the show. And he makes seven. With Zeth, there's seven people on the show. And Zeth is... Eddie calls him the lovable loser. And it's, you know... Wait till I tell you about his weekend. Oh, good grief. Wait till I tell you about his weekend. Now, on Friday, a bunch of P1s from the website P1site.com got together at Dave & Buster's here in San Diego. And they invited everybody to go down there. Well, Eddie, Ashley, and Zeth actually showed up, went down there, and hung out with the P1s. 570-1053, by the way.
is our phone number. You can call about anything at the beginning and end of every show, so call us if you want to. How was it, Eddie? Well, I didn't tell anybody because, for one, I didn't want to be committed to it just in case something came up Friday night. Right. And two, I thought, well, this is going to be pretty funny if I just walk in there and be like, hey, what's up, guys? And I was expecting, you know, like 10 of them was going to be there, you know, all the people we know, you know, like Hall of Famers and stuff like that. Right. Well, I walk in, and I'm just kind of moseying around, and I realize, There's easily 50 to 60 of them all there. And I was like, holy cow, this is bigger than our events. That's great. And so they see me and they just freak out. And they just, you know, it was cool. You know, it was really neat to see. How scary is it how much more organized they are than we are? By far. By far. They had name tags for all the different P1s. And then we got name tags. Like, it was crazy. Crazy. I wish they could work for us. Yeah, no kidding. We may need them.
It was great, man. But, you know, they were all really cool, and it was kind of overwhelming, to be honest with you. You know, because, like, I literally was expecting five, ten people. And they were all there, and they all wanted to take pictures and hang out and buy us drinks and stuff. Boy, very unfortunate. Herd actually relapsed at the Dave & Buster. It was sad. It was sad. I had to grab a drink from her hand. Mikey, it was so crazy. I was at the bar with Eddie and Zeth. Oh, no. Eddie got me a Red Bull, got himself a drink, got Zeth a beer. Zeth wanted to go put his jacket in my car because we carpooled. Obviously, I was the DD. Right. And then she made him bring her purse. Yeah, I had him take the purse, too. So he's humiliated bringing her purse in front of 50p1. Dude, I hope somebody got a picture. Oh, yeah. We're videotaping it. There's cameras everywhere. So then we were at the bar, and Eddie and I couldn't breathe. We were surrounded by people and then listeners, and we were like, ah! So we were like, we should probably move. So I grabbed Zeth's beer and turned around, and everybody in front of me were all P1s. They all had their name tags on, and all of them started freaking out. They're like, oh my god, Ashley's relapsing! Cameras get whipped out. Everyone's taking pictures. Eddie takes the beer from my hand. I'm like, what just happened? So weird. Zeth.
Who is Carlita? She gave me a ride home. From where? P1 Carlita. Hey, Mikey. How are you? Great. You are from P1Site.com. That's right. And we're at Dave & Buster's. And you had to drive Zeth home. I didn't have to. I volunteered. I see. Yeah, because when I left, he wanted to stay. Yeah, it was actually pretty fun. And I wanted to call and thank Eddie, Ashley. and Zeth for being there. They were super, super cool. I got to take pictures with all of them. It was really awesome to meet them that way and just kind of hang out and ask them questions and talk. It was really exciting. Was Zeth a gentleman? Of course. Oh, good. Good. Are you a single lady? Yes. How old are you, Carlita? I'm 30. You're 30. Any kind of conversation before the... driving home about like, hey, how are you? Any kind of flirtation? No. No, no flirtation. Okay. Hey, I like your beagle. I like your beagle. Oh, Charlie Brown. Oh, I get it. I get it. There it is. That's right. Oh, come on, Charlie Brown. It's Monday. Takes a little while. Well, Carly, that was very nice of you to drive Zeth home, and I wish you two lovebirds the best. Oh, yeah.
Thank you very much for calling in. Okay. We'll see you. P1Nerd is on the line. I didn't know that Carlito was going to call in, but I just wanted to thank Zeph, Eddie, and Ashley as well, and also especially Zeph, because he stayed for the whole night from 8 till I don't know when, because those P1s just stayed later than me at Dave & Buster's, and it was just a crazy night. I had to get back to World of Warcraft. That's right. Was it a fun night, P1 Nerd? Yes, it was a crazy night. I only expected only 10 people. And next thing you know, like 30 or 40 of them showed up and all the Hall of Famers came. It was just insane. That is nuts, man. Well, that's cool, man. I'm glad you guys had a good time. Yep. Thank you. We'll see you.
And I love that voice you do. Yeah, well, that's not a voice. It's just his voice. He calls in and he does this thing where he talks like this. But he talks like that. And I just, I want him to do my voicemail and my answering machine. I don't think you realize. It's so perfect. I want to ask him to do it and I don't want to bug him. He wears that goofy tie thing everywhere now. It's so funny. The guy's the best. The guy is the best. Big clip on tie. P1 nerd. Let's see. What else is going on? I had to call in a drunk driver this morning. Holy cow. On the freeway, on the drive-in. This guy probably could have killed somebody, man. He was swerving all over the place. I'm drunk. And I updated the CHP twice, and then after my last update, he got off the freeway. So, who knows? But that was weird. Hopefully they caught up with him. That's scary when you see that. Zethi and Oates was pulled over again on Friday. Get it together, man. Dude, when Rob is telling you that, that's bad. That is bad. But your window doesn't roll up on your car, bro. Yeah, but when Rob is saying it, that's bad. You got an issue. You have an issue. A little bit. What'd you get pulled over for? Same thing as always. Drunk driving. I was hammered.
No, what'd you get pulled over for? The expired registration. Oh, you should get that fixed. Yeah, they're not going to leave you alone. Yeah. Yeah, I'm figuring that out. Eighth times a charm. I'm kidding. Pretty much. Then you got a flat tire on the freeway. Oh my God, this guy. Yay, this guy. When did that happen? Saturday at about 1.30 in the morning. So Friday night, Saturday morning. No, Saturday night, Sunday morning. Gotcha. Oh, good grief. You got a flat tire. Yeah. You had to pull over on the side of the freeway. And it was raining. Oh, no. Eddie, not funny. Sean, not funny. Really, really bad luck. I really have. He's got bad luck. Really bad luck. I've conceded to my fate as Charlie Brown. It is seriously like a black cloud follows this guy everywhere he goes. Anything else?
My dog chewed up my cell phone. He can't escape it. I don't know. And I got Hep C. He's got like, you know, pick on me juice or something. Oh, that sucks. It's too bad. I hope it gets better. I mean, what do you say? What do you say for the, yeah, good luck? Fingers crossed. P1 Alex is on the line. Hey, how you doing? It's Big One Alex. I just wanted to comment on the fight on Saturday, the Mayweather fight. The opening announcement played the national anthem for the British. God save the Queen and the Americans stood up. They were very respectful. And then after they were done with that, they played the U.S. national anthem for Mayweather. And all the British started to boo and they started to throw garbage on the ring. That's terrible. They were so disrespectful. That's terrible.
It's soccer hooligans, man. That's what it was. It was like hooligans. Imagine how many fights there must have been at the MGM. Every time they showed the crowd, because half the audience was from Manchester. And every time they show them, first of all, they have a band up in the stands. It was like playing a trumpet and a giant drum the entire time. The entire fight. And every time they showed the crowd, I mean, they were doing these chants and had like two-fisted beers. And I was thinking to myself, oh my God, how many fights are going to happen tonight? It must have been so bad, man. It was crazy. No, thank you. I heard the Cowboys came from behind. big time and beat the Lions yesterday. Yeah, they scored the last minute to beat the Lions 28-27. I mean, I still can't believe the Chargers ended up winning that game yesterday. They were down, man. And looking terrible. That was the thing. Phillip Rivers having his usual game. Dude, what's up? I don't know. Honestly, I think it's like a mental thing. You know, like when pitchers go into a funk?
I think it's a mental thing because he's got the talent, but he's under-throwing, over-throwing. I think he's thinking too much or he's freaked out or something. Yeah, probably. This is how it ended, though. I believe this is how it ended. Cut 78. I'll tell you how much Josh Lewin, the play-by-play guy, for the San Diego Chargers means to the organization in terms of how exciting he is, I've never done this in my life. I'm watching the game. It ends. I immediately mute it, and I just want to get to a radio and hear what Josh is saying. Wow. I just immediately want to hear that excitement. And I did. I mean, I muted, I turned the radio on, and Josh is losing his mind. He's losing his mind. Which was so fun to listen to.
And my advice is watch the game and listen to Rock 105. Absolutely. Listen to Josh call that game. It's so much fun. People are calling in about the... Oh, by the way, speaking of the Chargers, LT was on 60 Minutes last night. Yeah. So we'll have audio of LT on 60 Minutes coming up. Cool. And Brittany was in Vegas this weekend and was there for... Yeah, all of the hooligans that were there. So she's going to tell us about the P1 Brittany's online. Oh. So five, yeah, I didn't mean Brittany speaking. I was like, wow. Again. P1 Brittany. P1, yeah. Hey, y'all. This was great. So we'll talk to P1 Brittany coming up. Don't go away. And we got a heck of a show for you today. Sean Merriman will be on. We got about a billion questions, obviously. Because Sean is hurt. We'll find out how bad it is. We're going to do something called the Dumb Chick Challenge today. We are going to be talking to Katie Daryl from TMZ TV. We are going to be doing P1 trivia so that someone can win the opportunity to come into the studio on Friday.
I was just looking at a calendar. We're close to vacation time. Yeah, only a couple chances left before the end of the year to come hang out with the Mikey Show. Yeah, I mean, we're going to be going on vacation pretty soon. Our last day is the 21st. So that's a week from Friday. And are you guys doing anything cool? You guys going anywhere? Yeah. Christmas night, I'm actually flying up to my folks' house. You are? Yeah. How about you, Skye? Yeah, going up to the bay. Going up north? Yeah. Carpool. You want a ride? Let's go together. You want a ride? Are you guys flying? Are you flying, Eddie? Yeah, I fly. Yeah. And we're driving. We got all the presents. Man, you almost think it's more expensive. No? It's not? For all the gas to go up there? No, not if you got two people and a car full of stuff. That's true. Because it's cheaper than buying two. plane tickets or is it because when we were figuring it out for uh phoenix it was not because we figured it's probably going to cost well yeah you guys have a really gas economical car right and plus we you know visit with people when we're up there so we wouldn't want to have to rent a car
All of a sudden, Sean plays a vomit sound effect. Never where we're going. We're having a great... Pablo Francisco on the Stand Up Spotlight. My name is Pablo Francisco. I am Latino. I don't even look like a Pablo. That's what someone told me today. You don't even look like a Pablo. You look like a Bubby. Spanish and I'm learning Spanish again because my parents brought me up to learn English, you know, so I asked my dad, how can I learn better Spanish? He's like, listen to Spanish radio, that helps, but you ever listen to Spanish radio? All the DJs sound like Dracula. Hola, como estas? Y sin mucho tráfico esta mañana. Aw, thanks, man. Yeah, you guys get a lot of calls every morning that people pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Shawn stuff. Man, every one of you are great. Thank you. The Mikey show continues on the rock. Hey, it's Clint. And if you're working in the building industry, you should be proud of what you do because it matters. Your industry is one of the largest employers locally and you provide new schools and other important facilities. Your products represent the American dream. And when you build a home, that's one of the last remaining handmade products in America. So if you build...

Well, the ride's getting a little bit busier here as we move along. South Montana 5 is seeing some heavier traffic now down the North Kennedy coastline. Slows from Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad all the way down to Salada Beach. South 15 pretty tough as well up to 78 to Via Rancho Parkway. Reduced speeds again through Rancho Bernardo. Looking great on the westbound 8. You're good to go here. The West 94 just a minor delay in the downtown. North 805, though, that's a bit of a tough ride already from Plaza Boulevard. And that struggles up in the North Park. Northbound 5, also slowing around an earlier accident clearing the 54 South Bay Freeway. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Just get back from the airport, Zeth. Seaport Village, man. There you go. Wait, say it again. You got a governator shirt underneath there. Shamu Believe. Turn around and look at Zeth. He's wearing this big puffy jacket that says San Diego all over it. Every square inch has the word San Diego. Gosh, you hearing this? You want to jump in on this? What's up with Zeth's San Diego jacket? Did you just get back from the airport or what's going on? I like it. I think it's cool. What is the story, Zeth? It's logo. Where did you get this? I don't know. I got it a while ago. You really like San Diego. He's representing. A whole lot. He really likes it a lot. Yo, 619, bro. That's right, dude. There you go. Represent.
I'm a fan of Masi Toyota, and you should be too. They're in San Diego. That is true. There you go, Seth. That is true. The whole dealership's got a big San Diego jacket wrapped all over it. And they're located in Mission Bay Drive in Pacific Beach. And you talking about deals on Toyotas, right now they got them because they want to get those 07s out the door and make room for the 08s. And so you get to benefit from that. Everything you're looking for, Prius, Camrys, Corollas, RAV4s, Tundras, Tacomas. Four runners, they got the whole, that runs a gamut. This is the time to buy. I have a friend of mine that works at a car dealership, and he says, man, end of the year, because they want to get rid of those 07s and get the new models in. Go now and get your new car. That's one of those deals where you go, you know how you hear those things from time to time, people in the know, and when's the best time to book a hotel? When's the best time to plan a trip here? When's the best time to get a deal on a house? This is the deal with cars. Right now is the time to save money. Mossy Toyota Mission Bay Drive in Pacific Beach. And now more Mikey. I'm a strange guy. Strange person. Eddie. I once played chicken with a squirrel and lost. Sky. Yes, it makes me feel bigger to minimize everything.
There we go. Save that clip. Sean. I'm a germaphobe. Boston Rob. It's a transient style that I've developed. And Ashley. Due to my carelessness, I'm extremely prone to self-inflicting injury. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Back it is 644. Britney Spears stole a cigarette lighter from a Chevron gas station, then joked with the paparazzi about it. In a bit of a surprise, Milton Bradley signed a one-year deal with the Texas Rangers. Padres still signed no one. Skye, what are you saying about Britney Spears? What is that all about? I didn't think she could get weirder, but I guess she did. So yeah, over the weekend, goes into the Chevron gas station, buys a pack of gum, walks out, and then immediately turns around, walks back in, steals a lighter.
runs outside and starts joking with the paparazzi about how she just stole something. Cut five. How you doing, Brittany? Wonderful. Are you a little upset? I look upset to you, baby. No, you never look upset. You look gorgeous, always. Always. I stole something. She just said that's her saying I just stole something? Yeah. Oh, I'm bad. Oh. You should take it back. Pay for it, Brittany. Right? Yeah, and then they, you know, went on to interview the guy working at the gas station and was like, yeah, you know, I read these magazines. Brittany makes like $700,000 a month, and the lighter was $1.39. I mean, he did say she's welcome back in their gas station. He's not going to press charges. How come? Why did he say she's welcome back? That's interesting to me. Why would she be welcome back? If Beto did that, he wouldn't be welcome back. No, no.
But it's just... If some black dude that's not a celebrity did that, I wonder if he'd be welcome... Hey, he's welcome back anytime. No, you're definitely right. Let's say it's some black dude and his name is Sean Thompson. Is Sean Thompson welcome back if he goes in and steals a lighter? No. That's interesting. Yeah, no, they say, you know, but next... He says she's welcome back anytime, but next time could she please pay for her items? Kids do think that's cool. Little kids think that's cool. Yeah. Britney stole the lighter. That's cool. You know what? I think I'll steal one, too. It'll be cool. It's too bad. Because I really do think they think that. Oh, yeah. And especially the fact that there's no repercussions of it. It's a big joke, you know? In fact, a guy will say, you know, it's a joke. It's not that big a deal. Stealing something small, the message is, it's not that big a deal. Oh, boy. That's too bad. Brutal. Who won the Heisman Trophy, Eddie? Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow? Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow. Is he the guy for Florida? Yeah. Yeah, he's the first ever sophomore to win the award. A sophomore? Yeah. Cut three. Without further ado, the winner of this year's Heisman Trophy is Tim Tebow. Kelly Clarkson! Yeah, Kelly Clarkson! Titanic!
Here's some of Tim's acceptance speech. Cut forth. Thank you. I'd just like to first start off by thanking my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave me the ability to play football and gave me a great family and a support group and great coaches and everything around me. That's how I'd like to start off. I'd like to thank the Heisman Trust and everybody here for their support and voting for me. Thank you. I'd like to thank my teammates back at home. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be here. Look at that. I thank Jesus. I like it. He's a big-time Christian. Is he really? Yeah. But he was so nervous, he ended up repeating himself over and over and over again. So he kept saying, I'm really proud to be part of Gator Nation, and I'm really happy to be part of Florida Gators and Gator Nation. And you're just like, oh, dude, just get off. Wrap it up. Poor guy.
I don't know anything about him. Instantly, I'm a fan. I'll probably be wearing a... Team Tebow. Yeah, what is it? Like, who's the worst right now? I'll be wearing an Oakland Raider jersey next year. Like, who's the worst? Who's the worst team? The Dolphins. Oh, yeah, the Dolphins. But he's not going to come out as a sophomore. No? No. He'll keep playing. Is that good already? He's a sophomore. Is that good? He actually, you know, when I really... Broke down the numbers. Because I was kind of not. I was hoping that Colt Brennan from Hawaii would win it. Because, I mean, the guy broke all the records for passing touchdowns and all that stuff. But when I looked at what Tim Tebow did. Tebow. It's pretty impressive, man. He broke the SEC record for rushing touchdowns. And he's a quarterback. And threw for like 23 touchdowns, too. So, I mean, he had a huge season. I don't know anything about him. So, it won't be one of those things where they try to make him change positions or something. No, no, no. He's too good. He's a quarterback, right? Yeah. So many things to talk about. I want to talk about Barry Bonds a little bit later on. I want to get into this Amy Winehouse story. We'll tell you when we come back, but one of Amy Winehouse's relatives has written an open letter begging Amy to get help. And you can see it, man. I mean, she is ill. Really, really sick. And so we will...
Get into that a little bit later on. Do you realize Jake has another cold? Really? Another cold. I guess, you know. Is he around other kids a lot? All the time. All the time. And last night my mom says, I wonder if he's got allergies or if he's allergic. And I thought, maybe because it's been so long, you know. And my mom goes, could it be the cats? Oh my. It is. He is the baby. And I went, oh wow. 100% it is. I think we need some testing by a doctor first. So I looked at my wife and I said, I wonder if it's the cats. Now instantly my wife is, you hate the cats in her head, right? And I don't blame her. I don't blame her. But instantly she's like, you hate the cats. This is what's happening in her mind. She's not saying this. This is what I can hear because we speak telepathically. My wife and I. So I hear her going, you don't like the cats and that's why you are saying this. And so she says to me, oh yeah, we can have him tested. They take needles and they jab him in his back. They stab him with those steely knives and they just can't kill the beast. Oh, that's funny. And I know what the process is.
And so somebody else at the table, I think it was my aunt, says, well, they scratch the skin. She goes, okay, hey, you want to do it? Okay. Oh, boy. I know where this is going. But some, you know, some's got to be done. Little hospice patient walking around. Now, if it is the cats. We have to get rid of them. But she's not going to get rid of the cats. Now listen to me. and I'm being completely serious about this, if it came down that we had to get rid of those cats, it would suck. And as much as you hear me gripe and complain, I might actually miss Jules. But if we have to get rid of them, we would have to get rid of them. And I wouldn't be happy about it. I wouldn't be like, oh, hooray. But listen, if it was that Jake was having issues because of the cats, of course. Sky, what would you do? Oh, wow. You could tell that one just sprained her brain. What would you... Can I say what I think you would do? Yes. You would exhaust every home remedy. You would exhaust every possibility that it was the cats. When they did a test and they said it's the cats, you would say, maybe it's still not the cats. Well...
I have heard that it's actually the dander that you're allergic to. It's not the fur itself, but it's the dander. Is that that gross-looking... The white... Dreyfus. What do they call it? You get it? The dandruff. You know, the Dreyfus. The Dreyfus. Oh, well said. So I would try bathing my cats weekly and see if that helped the situation. What if it didn't? You would keep trying. I would try something else. You would try bathing them every day. Yeah. And then every hour. Get rid of them. Stop. Right? Get rid of them. What would it take? I mean, I don't think. You wouldn't get rid of them for your child? Well, I would have to eventually isolate the cats. You wouldn't get rid of them? You would not get rid of them? I don't think I could. That's brutal. Unless I could find a family member that could take them. Really? Like my mom would have to take them. What if the family members couldn't take them? Then they'd have to get their own room. And the baby wouldn't be allowed in the room. And the cats wouldn't be. The circulation. The air circulation. You just cut off the vents. My hubby's handy. So you would lock them in a room? What a life. What a terrible, terrible life. It would have kitty houses. Awful, terrible. Toys. Good owner. What an awful life for those poor little cats. They would be fine. Trapped. Trapped. They live in the lap of luxury. Imprisoned. Imprisoned. Oh, stop. They'll be fine. Miserable.
At least I wouldn't just throw them out on the streets like some people wanted. They'd form little pyramids in there, and there'd be a woman smoking a cigarette dangling out of her mouth holding a beer in camouflage next to those poor cats. Well, this isn't an issue for me, so leave me alone. In that little concentration room. Stop it. You're a bad person. I'm not. My cats are fine. Oh, you don't even know what stupid is! I've never been to a mouth out. You have. You floss a minimum of three times a day. Boston Robb. Mariah Carey told me to shave my dreaded seatbelt off. And Ashley. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Is that new audio or no? No? Welcome back. It's 7.04. Police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap and carjack a woman in the San Leo area of San Marcos. Patriots remain unbeaten. They beat the Steelers yesterday 34-13. You know, I really hope that the cops try to get that San Alejo thing under control. I can't tell you how many weird stories of kidnappings or assaults or robberies or whatever happens in the sweet little community of San Alejo Hills. It's such a beautiful little community. It is, man. And it makes you like, hey, cops. I don't know who's in charge.
They need, like, Wyatt Earp. They need Wyatt Earp to go there and, like, get the lawlessness out of there. There's clearly lawlessness going on. That's very weird. Do you understand what I'm saying, Skye? Well, yeah, that it just seems like this, like, seems to be a hotbed for, you know, bad people to target the people living there. Something on your mind? Here we go. Just wanted to let you know you're sitting in my chair. Cleaning up San Alejo Hills right here. Is that a fact? Yeah, that's a fact. Well, for a man that don't go healed, you run your mouth kind of reckless, don't you? No need to go healed to get the bulge on a tub like you. Is that a fact? Santa Lejo is about to get cleaned up, Scott. I can see that in your eyes. Go ahead. Ahead, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens. Listen, mister, I'm getting awful tired of your... I'm getting tired of your gas. Now jerk that pistol and go to work. I said throw down, boy.
I'm going to watch that today. Sanalejo. Clean up that town. Lawlessness. Yeah, there's lawlessness going on there. The saloon, I hear, is a mess. The saloon. Sanalejo Hill Saloon is just a mess. What? There's constantly horse robberies. You can't take your horse anywhere and go inside to the general store without somebody stealing your horse. The whores at the brothel will rip you off. That's right. And the livery ain't much better. I heard Doc Stevens got mugged the other day. Doc Stevens. That's right. Amy Winehouse is real ill in addiction. She's taken a lot of drugs and her mother has issued an open letter to the tabloids urging her to get help. Yeah, part of the letter says, we want to help you, but we know that unless you want to be helped, unless you come to us, anything we tried would be in vain. That's too bad. Sad. This is the Bud Light Sean Merriman Report. Hey, Sean. Hey, what's going on? We got about a million things to talk to you about. Okay, let's start. Let's start with your injury, because there's rumors.
The rumors are that you got a cheap shot from the Tennessee Titans, and that's what hurt you. Definitely a cheap shot. I was 15 yards away from the ball, and I was being healed by another guy, and it came up and cleaned up by a lineman from the back that I didn't even see. Do you know who it was? It was 76 and Maui. I think it was both of those two linemen, and I don't know what's going to happen, but I was looking for the guys after the game. I couldn't find them. What were you going to do? I don't know, but it's one thing to try to cheap shot somebody and ruin somebody's career. Do anything like that, but I think that was just totally disrespectful for them to do that. So what's the status, Sean? How bad is the injury? Well, I don't know yet. Waiting for MRIs and waiting for some x-rays. I don't know what's going to happen, but I never sat out a game before. I never came out of a game in my life before, and it's just so weird being out. How does it feel right this very second?
It's pretty swollen. My knee is pretty swollen and kind of stiff from it being swollen. But once the swelling go down, I think they'll be able to have a... Eddie. Now, they said that was because that you allegedly cheap-shotted Vince Young when it was clear that he just ran into you, Sean. Now, they said that it was the head coach, Jeff Fisher, that ordered this hit on you. Do you know about any of this stuff? Yeah, as from what I heard, I heard he did. He told several of his players. And you can kind of tell that he... uh did that from the crack back the very next play or very next two plays that happened i mean you can tell that it was designed for them to start going after me and i offered her and he went up and down the whole entire sideline saying uh make sure i get out make sure you know get me out the game so uh regardless of what happened um you know it'll be dealt with that is that is crazy man and vince young aren't you guys boys yeah i mean me and vince are pretty close man and uh
You know, regardless of us being close tonight, I still would never take a cheap shot at a play I never have, never will. But at the same time, I mean, you know, he ran right into me. I even tried to help him catch him before he fell. I mean, it wasn't intentional at all. And I think he just got the wind knocked out of him when he hit the ground. So, you know, they took that whole thing out of context, especially in the stadium. That is unbelievable, man. Well, here's what I'm wondering, you know. When a guy is on the field and he injures his knee and it's like a torn ACL or MCL, you know right away, right, because it's excruciating pain. Is that the deal? Like with you, it wasn't excruciating pain, so they knew you're jacked up, but they know that it's not. I mean, they would have taken you if it was an ACL or an MCL, wouldn't they? From what I learned growing up playing football, I was never allowed to lay on the field, regardless of no injury. I've torn the meniscus, I've torn MCLs, things like that, and still been able to walk off with no problem. And it does hurt, it does hurt, but I just don't believe in laying on the ground.
There's a possibility that you might have a torn MCL or ACL. They just haven't gone in to check it out yet? I have no idea. I don't think they do either. I'll find out sometime the day of tomorrow. Okay. What's the process? What do they do? Do they stick a little camera in your knee, or how do they find out? Yeah, they kind of do MRIs and do some x-rays to make sure any major damage is not done. But when it's so swollen, it's kind of hard to tell exactly what's the problem. so they kind of wait for the swelling to go down, and then they can observe it a little bit more. Was it the same leg that your calf injury was on? No, it was the opposite leg, actually. My calf wasn't too bad starting out the game. I mean, I've been resting it the whole entire weekend, getting rehab on it, and it was fine. Oh, man. Well, I mean, listen, I hope that none of this stuff is season-ending. I hope that you can heal up. I hope this is a sprain. I mean, that would be the best-case scenario, right, is a sprain?
Yeah, I mean, just to try to find out. I'll figure out a way to get healthy again. I mean, I don't really look at it as a season-ending, but, you know, who knows? I mean, I go in there, they tell me something different, and I've got to do what the doctors say. Well, okay, so let's talk about this game, which was a trip. This was the craziest game, man. It was three-quarters of what looked like some terrible, terrible play by the Charger offensive line. Terrible play by Phillip Rivers. And then something happened, and they just woke up, and they ended up winning the game. What was the locker room like after that kind of come-from-behind overtime win? I was just happy because, you know, and Phillip said during halftime, because I was back there getting my knee checked out, he said, you know, it doesn't matter how we win, as long as we win, whether it looks good It was ugly. We're going to win. And he said that during halftime. So, you know, he wasn't 100% either. He was a little banged up himself. But he had enough confidence to know that he was going to go out there and help us win the game, even though it didn't look the best. So what about after the game in the locker room? What was the atmosphere like? What were guys saying? And was it different from most victories?
Well, guys are still a little ticked off from the game because that was probably one of the most dirtiest games I've ever played in my whole entire life. It was a bunch of cheap shots going on around the whole entire field, so about that. But we were just happy the way that we fought back at the end of the game and won it, regardless. I mean, sometimes you're going to have to play in those kind of games and win them, especially. So as long as we win the game like we did, I mean, I think we were all pretty happy. I don't know why. I pictured screaming, everybody having a great time. I can't believe we did this. They're mad. They're mad because during that game, you saw so many fights. You saw helmets coming off. You saw gigantic men shoving other gigantic men. You saw a lot of screaming, a lot of yelling. And from what we're hearing from Sean, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans ordered a hit on Sean Merriman.
said, go get him. That's crazy. I mean, if something like that is proven, Sean, what could happen as a result? Who knows? Who knows? I know definitely a lot of people are going to get involved and find out what really happened. But you can kind of tell that something, like I said, that something was called out of order because the very next two players that I bumped into events, they ran a crack back that the guy was in legal motion. He wasn't even set. He was just coming to get me. I mean, if you get a clean shot on a guy, you're supposed to knock him out. That did show you how soft he was. He had a clean shot, and he couldn't even finish me. So, you know, I don't know, but I hope something to come out of that deal. I saw you standing on the sideline after when you came out. You had on the long sleeve, the beanie, and you're an intimidating-looking guy. Still let you know. What? Just to let you know, Sean. What? FYI. I don't know if you know this. You're scary looking, dude. Oh, he's a teddy bear. He is not. He is. He's not a teddy bear, dude. He does not look like a teddy bear. He looks like he could sell me for cigarettes. Wow. That's weird. You know what I'm saying? He looks like he could trade me for a carton of Marlboros. Wow. But anyway, hey, listen, man. You guys won. And I had to think to myself, Sean.
that it's got to give you guys a boost. And, like, we can do anything. Once you put in those situations, I mean, that was a tough game we played. And I think that a lot of fans and people watching the game said, you know, they were really happy that we pulled it out. But, you know, we were stuck in a real bad situation a few times, especially at the end of the game where we both had the ball and had to stop. And whoever scores wins the game or field goal or anything. Whoever scores wins the game. Like I said, sometimes you're going to have to win games like that, and we have to do it in a playoff or down a road somewhere, then we'll have to do that. Hey, Sean, what did LT say to Phillip Rivers when there was the back and forth? I don't know. I heard after the game that it was something said or done. I'm not sure what it was, but like I said before, during the Green Bay game earlier during the year, they had LT and Phillip going back at each other and kind of walking away so it would make it look like they were arguing.
But in the middle of the game, things like that happen. I've argued with some defensive players before and went back and forth, but that's just being in the heat of the battle. It was pretty clear that LT was frustrated yesterday. He had a personal foul, which he never has. And it was clear that Phillip Rivers sat down next to him. LT got up and didn't want to talk to him at that point. I don't think they hate each other, but I just think LT was frustrated. They're like brother and sister, man. That's kind of funny to hear. Which one's the sister? Which one's the sister? Which one's the sister? They're like brothers. Brother and sisters, man. I can't look at quarterbacks. It's a band too tough. You're the best. Sean, how was Lights On Bowl? It was great, man. It was a heck of a turnout, and The majority of the team was there, and we had a sponsor in East Lane, and I want to say around maybe 500 people or something showed up. That's cool, man. Yeah, it was a great event. We raised a lot of money, so I'll get the final numbers, and probably next week I'll be able to let you know what the final is. So what are you going to do, man? You can't work out. What do you do in a situation that you're in? Do you just chill out, or what do you do this week?
Well, I'll tell you this much, man. While you were in the game, you were having an impact. Oh, man. Well, early on, I seen something that they were doing, and I was wondering why they wasn't chipping me starting out from the game. And, you know, whenever they don't, I kind of find that disrespectful. I thought I'd have a good game early on. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it out. There you go. Well, listen. Heal up. The one thing that's great is you can tell that Ted has decided that, well, listen, I have these pit bulls. I might as well use them. The defense has definitely opened up, and you guys are starting to look like monsters again. I love it. Well, it's the perfect time to start running in stride. If any time we're going to get to do it, it's right now, and hopefully we can keep on this pace until we end up where we want to be. We're talking to Sean Merriman. Did you remember to TiVo LT on 60 Minutes last night? No, I didn't. Oh, dude. Oh, you got to see it. It's real good. You learn a bunch of stuff about him. I'm sure you don't know. Did you know, Sean, that LT does not talk to his wife on game day? Yeah.
You did know that. Well, he said that long. I think I asked for my rookie year before, and I never forgot for my rookie year. So he already told you about that. Yeah, I think he goes into a trance. And I didn't see the piece, but once he told me that when it's game day, he doesn't think about anything but football. So if that's something along the lines that he said, he told me that before. Are you anything like that? When you get married, will you be the kind of guy that can still talk to your wife, or will you avoid conversation? Yeah, she probably got to get me hyped up before the game or something. I don't know. I'll yell it. There you go. All right. I don't know. All right, Sean, get better, and we'll talk to you on Monday after Detroit. All right. I appreciate it. Thanks. We'll see you later. Sean Merriman. Cricket! Skye, why do you like Cricket? Because, well, they're awesome, but why are they awesome? There's many reasons. The first reason that I think makes them so much better than other wireless companies is the fact that they don't do contracts. If you've ever had a cell phone from any other wireless company... But if they don't do contracts, how do they keep you locked into them? Well, you're not locked in, but you want to stay a customer because you get great service at great prices. Yeah, but if they don't make you do contracts, then how exactly... do they have you by a leash? Well, see, that's the thing. They don't have you by a leash. They offer great phones, great service. I've been under the impression that all sell companies have you under a leash. All of them except for Cricket. So if you ever want to get a new phone, you just go in and get a new phone instead of having to sign your life away for another couple years. That's awesome. Question. Yes. What if I'm the type of guy that likes to be locked into long-term contracts and pay for almost everything? That I do, like texting and pictures and all that. Well, I guess cricket's not the place for you if you're that guy. Yeah, I really like to spend money.
That I don't have to spend. So I'm going to somewhere else, Guy. Yeah, you might need to then. What's their website? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. The West 94 King Freeway, also seeing some brake lights from Federal to the 805. And 805 northbound out of the South Bay, this is probably the toughest freeway going on. Slow from Chula Vista approaching the South Bay Freeway, solid into North Park. Then again, out of printing makes it over the 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The controversial movie The Golden Compass was the number one movie this weekend, making just over $26 million.
Me and my brother Mark had such a debate over that movie. Really? Yeah. Who won? I truly believe I won. Oh, really? I really do. I really do. And I got to tell you, having an intellectual conversation with my brother Mark is like arm wrestling. It's not easy. He's very well read. And so we had this long conversation about the Golden Compass. Real quick, let me see the audio, Seth. I want to play a clip. Number one over the weekend. Stars Tom Cruise's ex-wife. Her name's Nicole Kidman. She has a name. She's a person. It did real good in the movie theaters. Yeah, I mean, $26 million. It had a pretty big budget, so, you know, I think they were hoping for more, but still number one. Cut 57. The tutor of metaphysics tells me that you've missed your lesson again. Sometimes you must do what others think best. But I disagree, Master. When I was a young woman, I caused my demon, and that it would be best if we were free to do as we pleased. Who's she? She showed up the master, all right. Sounds exciting. Do you guys know that that Mike Huckabee, he's surging again. Now, they say, Huck Finn. His name is Huckabee. Has capitalized on the Iowa success, and he's at the front of the pack in South Carolina.
Not numero dos or numero five like he was a month ago. He was in fifth place in South Carolina. Now he's number one. Wow. Huckleberry hound. Huckleberry hound. Mitt Romney was second. Law and Order was third. Fred Thompson. And John McCain was third. fourth, if you can believe that. John McCain's in fourth place. That's crazy. I mean, for all this started, we thought he was just going to take over. I didn't know who Huckleberry Finn was. Mike Huckabee. And now he's doing good. Yeah, when you sent me that email this weekend about Mike Huckabee, it took, like, I had to read it like three times to figure out that you were talking about Mike Huckabee. Because you go Huck Finn. You kept calling him Huck Finn. And I'm like, who? What is Mike talking about right now? Ben, what? Oprah is... This is so weird. From what I've read, Oprah is endorsing a known terrorist. How dare you? Barack Obama Bin Laden is a guy. First of all, he's running for president. That's crazy! He's a madman. He's not. But he's a madman. He's a politician. I thought he's an extreme Islamist. She ordered a jihad on Rachel Ray. No, she
She did. I heard it. Stop it. Cut one. I am not here to tell you what to think. Oh, you go. I'm here to ask you to think seriously. Thank you, Oprah. Thank you. Save us. I want you to think seriously about a man who knows who we are. I'm drunk. And he knows who we can be. I'm not here for partisan beliefs over the years. I voted for as many Republicans as I have Democrats. So this isn't about partisanship for me. This is very, very personal. I'm here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America. Thank you. Get a windscreen on that mic for crying out loud. Yeah, they say about 30,000 people showed up in South Carolina to the rally to hear Oprah speak on behalf of Obama. I heard she gave everybody a Dirt Devil. Like, at the end of it, she's like, look under your seats! Look under your seats! Barack Obama and a free Dirt Devil for everyone! Everybody got the Dirt Devil! That's right, everyone gets a KitchenAid! The new Michael Bublé CD!
Is that true, Skies? I did not read that, no. I don't believe that's true. Oh, well, that brought the room down then. Oh, then why don't we do some of this then? Why don't we do some of the Dumb Chick Challenge? As good as a cook as I think I am, I can't do chicken. Not... breast meat chicken. I brought it in as leftovers for breakfast. It's terrible. Was it dry? It's so dry. Yeah. I stuck it on the grill. I probably cooked it too long because I don't know how long, you know, like I feel it and it feels all hard. I'm like, I guess it's done. I don't want to get salmonella so I keep it on there for an hour and a half. Right. But then second day chicken is always so gross. So dried out. It's all dry and hard.
Yeah, that ain't cool, man. It's not soft and juicy. It is not that. It's the opposite of that. I went to a poker game Friday night and all the money raised went to Toys for Tots in my neighborhood. Oh, that's cool. It was really cool. And it was at this guy Mark's house and the chicken was so good. But I felt a little effeminate asking, how did you make this wonderful chicken? So I didn't say anything. I know it. I know. It was real good. Mine's terrible. Let's play the Dumb Chick Challenge. Let's play it. All right. 5701053. We need an actual P1 listener to be one of the Dumb Chicks. So call us. And then the rest of you, you can call in and either pick Sky or Ashley to represent you in the Dumb Chick Challenge. The way that it works is the goal is to get to five points. And so you get to choose. What do you want? A one, two, or three-point question.
Ones are easy, threes are hard. You better get in on it now, P1s, because this game is over at the end of the year. We won't be doing this game in 08. Oh, man. Sky just said that. I'm just saying that in 08, we won't be doing the Dumb Chick Challenge anymore. So if you'd like to get in on it now, it's probably the time. That's not true. Because in the new year, we won't be doing this game anymore. We do it right now. We do it Mondays and Fridays. And then in 08, we're going to start doing it Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. No, we're canceling it. It's being canceled. The only way that'll happen is if you go to college or something and get smarter, which you're not going to do. Right. It's like perfect. P1 Jessie. I'm going to take Ashley because I love her and she showed up to the Dave and Buster's party. There you go. So you're not taking her because you think she'll win. Thank you. Hang on the line. I don't blame the girl. I haven't won in who knows how long. A very long time.
P1 Wendy, you get Sky. Okay, sounds good. Hang on the line. That's right. And P1 Christina, you're going to play for yourself. That's great. You got it. How old are you? I'm 19. Okay, good. That's just going to be fun. Not that age means anything, but I predict bad things for you. Sky went first last time. Ashley's up. Ashley, what do you want? A one, two, or three-pointer? What is that Eddie's giving her? That was real weird. What is that thing he's giving her? It's the new strategy that we're trying. You don't even sound confident, dude. You already sound beaten up. Listen, dude. Yeah, there you go. That's what I'm looking for. I don't know what you want from me. I hate this game and I don't win, so why would I be confident or excited? Come on, what do you want? Wow. Your one-point question is... What country has a maple leaf on its flag? Um, Canada. That's right. I know that one. You can put it on the board. Out of the gate. Yes. Out of the gate. Oh, deal with that, everybody. You feeling better, Ashley? Oh, no. Oh, no. You're on the board. I know, but then I get on the board and then I never close the deal. You're going to do it. You hear me? You can do it, Ashley. You're the Trevor Hoffman of this game. That's right. Close it out, dude.
Yeah, you're the Trevor Hoffman. Come on, bro. All right, dude. P1 Christina. I'll take a two-point, please, Mikey. Two-point question. Your two-point question is, who was known as the Teflon Don? What? Oh, God, are you serious? What does that mean? Oh, come on. How did she not know that? You guys, this is pop culture. This is pop culture. It's general knowledge. The Teflon Don. I can't make things up. Oh, boy. Wow. I have no idea. You don't have any idea. No. They called John Gotti the Teflon Don. Yep. Why? Because he never went to jail. They couldn't get him on anything. Nothing would stick. Nothing would stick. It would slide right off. Slide right off. Like a piece of fat. That's right. Grabbed a piece of flat and slid off. Whoa, wait. What? Flat side. All right, Skye, what do you want? A one, a two, or a three? You'll take a two. Here it is, Skye. What do we got, Mike? One human year is equivalent to how many dog years? Seven. You got it, Skye. You can put her on the board. Ashley's looking at Eddie with a smile. No teeth, just a smile. Shaking her head now. She's looking at me. Now you see her teeth. She's smiling.
She wants a one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good plan. Your one-point question is, Ash, which TV show's theme song is entitled, Where Everybody Knows Your Name? Where Everybody Knows Your Name. Cheers. That is correct, Sam. Yay! That is correct, it is cheers. Ashley now has two points. What a way to wake up in the morning, huh? Wow. Eddie, what is the score? Well, Ashley has two points. Xtina has no points. And Skye has two points. Okay. Xtina, what do you want? A one, two, or a three-point question? I'll take a one so I can at least get on the board. You got it. You got it. Who did George Bush run against for president in 04? Al Gore. That is incorrect.
He did that in 2000. In 2004, he ran against a guy named John Kerry. Talking man. John Kerry. Full of life and personality. Vibrant personality. Full of swift boats. That's right. Two bolts coming out of his neck. Oh, wait. True. Skye, a one, two, or three point question. I'll take a two, please. You can wrap it up, Skye. Or not. Okay. No way. Skye, who was George Bush Sr.'s vice president? She is using her tongue, and she's sticking her tongue out. Now she's squinting. She's looking down at the table. She's squinting. Roosevelt. Oh, my God. This is so sad. Gwail? That is correct, Skye. Oh, man. Skye, what's his first name? Dan. Yes!
Sky, you're a point away from finishing this sucker off. Ashley. Ashley's on the phone. Ash, can you hear me? I guess we'll have to make fun of Sky for a few more seconds. No, thank you. No, I don't think we need to make fun of Sky. That's right. Potato. Dan Quayle couldn't spell potato. Yeah, we learned that last week. Sky, how do you spell potato? I don't know. Come on, try it. There may be an E in it. No. Or there may not. That was the problem. That was the problem, that he put an E in it. I mean, potato, potato, right? Well. Right, everybody? Wow, you guys just don't get it. Should we go? We will give up our spot as long as we get our spot back after Xtina's gone. That is certainly possible. But not guaranteed. All right, Xtina. Three points. Wait, now how can you go from... You missed a one. A three-pointer. I'm not doing good on the ones or the twos, so I might as well try them all until I get one, right? Yeah, you got it. You got it. All right, Xtina. How many presidents have we had in the United States? Holy moly. How many presidents have we had? Just, you know, count them off.
I don't think I would have known the answer to this. Being honest. It's a toughie. Honest. If you think about what George Bush is, you hear that a lot. Easy blah, blah, blah. You do? Yeah, I don't. Well, pick up a newspaper. I know it. I'm going to go between 60 and 70, so maybe 65. Oh, man. I wouldn't have said that. Thank God. That is incorrect, Extina. Aw, I bet she was close. The correct answer is 43. Oh, not even. Sweet. That's right. Sweet. All right, we're back. All right, Ashley, we're back with you. So what do you want? A one, two, or three-pointer? Okay, she's looking at Eddie. She's looking at Eddie. She's moving those fingers around. She's sitting up real straight. Give you a three. Oh, wow. Going for the win. Yeah. I like it. Ashley wants a three. Ta-da!
All right, Ashley, your three-point question is, in 1970, the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a crowd of student protesters, killing four at what university? Why are you laughing, Sky? I was looking at Sky to see if she knew the answer, and Sky winked at me. So I winked at me. And the wink was to say, don't know why you're looking at me, but here's a wink. If you're looking at me because you think I might have an answer, wink you. You know what sucks? What? I seriously read a book about this. Oh, come on, Ash. If you read a book about it.
You want me to read it again? Yeah, one more time. And then take your headphones off. Yeah, okay. In 1970, the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a crowd of student protesters killing four at what university? Wow, it's like she just got hit in the face with something. She just kind of recoiled. I don't know what that was. Texas State. Oh, wow. He said Ohio. Oh, wow. No idea. I can't. Ashley, the place in Ohio was not Texas. I know that that gets confusing, but it was not. There's actually a song about it, Ash, that Kent State. That's all right. That's okay. Let's move on to Sky. Sky, would you like a one-two? Well, you only need one, right? Right. You only need a one-pointer to wrap this sucker up. No, I have no kadunk about taking a one. All right, Skye. Yeah? Your one-point question is, near what country would you find the Great Barrier Reef? Australia. You are correct, Skye. I'm sorry, Xtina. Today is not your day. It's okay. You tried. You gave it the college go. Sorry about that. P1 Wendy? Yes. Skye did it for you.
I know, yay. She pulled it out. Eddie, what did Wendy win? She got tickets to our buddy Gary Hoey's concert at the Belly Up on the 19th. Oh, nice. Awesome. Very nice. All right, hang on the line. This is the Mikey Show. Yeah, I love the Mikey Show. You know what? You guys are awesome. I do, too. Every day. Presents Paran State, a groundbreaking new series that takes you on a haunting journey into real-life paranormal investigations. Paranormal State premieres tonight at 10, 9 central, only on A&E. It's not your imagination. Mikey Show, hello. Hi, this is Pete Wanchino. I just wanted to sit. Call about AIS. Tell me about what happened with you and AIS. Ashley told me that you were waiting to tell me. I had an SR-22 from a DUI a couple years ago, and my insurance through Farmers was actually like $400 a month. So I kept hearing you guys talk about them on the radio. So I went down over there, and they saved me like $300 a month. I was paying $450. I pay about $145 now. That's incredible. And that's full coverage with SR-22 filing and everything. I had a lot of these military guys call me, tell me this stuff.
AIS will hook you up, man. They saved me over $3,500 a year. Yeah, that's fantastic, dude. Well, congratulations. All right, thank you. I'm glad we were able to help you. 1-800-777-4247. Easier way to remember the phone number, 1-800-777-4, the number 4, AIS. They will hook you up and they will save you money. The Mikey Show. Featuring Mikey. I put things off. I do like to put things off until the last minute. Eddie. I keep a log of my insults. That must be a pretty long log. That's what she said. Oh my. Sky. I was throwing weed when I was. Save that club. Sean. I don't often drink milk, but when I do, I have to salt it. Boston Rob. I got ideas, man. They're worth money. And Ashley. I don't know anything.
I thought that. Save that clip. Save that clip. You will save that clip. I will not. It is 757. A former lab technician was arrested over the weekend in connection with the bomb threat against UCSD. Breaking news. Michael Vick sentenced to 23 months in prison. Holy cow, dude. Whoa. That's two years. Yeah. Two years. October of 2009. Now, when... See, I don't understand the legal system. I wonder if he can be released early, like if he's good. Oh, yeah, for sure. It's like most jail terms. It's like anything else. He might do seven months and he's so good they let him go. Yeah. The thing that I'm confused about that I'm kind of shocked is the co-defendants in the case, the other two guys, they got less than Michael Vick. Is it because they...
Turned on him? I guess. Yeah, I think because they did like a plea deal. Maybe. But man, that's crazy. Let's see. I want to hear some of this LT on 60 Minutes stuff. Oh, yeah. I T-voted it, but I didn't get to watch it last night. I heard it's really good. I heard it was really good. But before we do that, P1 Anti-Psycho is on the line. Hi, Anti-Psycho. Hey, what's up, guys? How are you this morning? Good, man. Tell everybody what a P1 is. A P1 is a dude or a chick who gets right to the point, radio down, no cussing, and boom, just lays it out there. Very nice. Very nice. What are you calling about? Calling about your best friend for many, many years, Eddie. Dude, I've been listening to you all season, the football season. You're such a class clown, Monday through Friday morning. But Sunday, the pre-show, dude, you get down and dirty to the point, and you really know what you're talking about. I want to give you a little public plug right there. Thanks, man. He's got a great power. It's really true, dude. I sent you that text message last week. Eddie's real good. He is, man. He is a bomb. He's good when he does a pregame. You know, they break everything down. And my favorite part of it is that last segment that you guys do about what's at stake. Yeah. I really enjoy that segment of what's at stake in the game. And if you've never heard the pregame show, it's Eddie, Jim Laszlovic, and Lou Bush.
and it's a really, really good pregame show, and depending on where their plan is, what time it starts and all that stuff, but it's really good. Even when the odds are against the Chargers, they're on an away team. Man, you guys pump the fans up over the radio, so it's great to listen to. Right on. That's cool, man. Thank you, man. Hey, thanks for calling. Good job. Adios, folks. Thank you, brother. P1 Paul. Hey, Mikey. What's up, man? Hey, I just heard on the news they said Michael Vick has to serve at least 80% of his sentence, so he's got to serve at least 20 months. Wow. I was just listening to the news. They said that. Dude. That's crazy. Wow, man. That's heavy. Listen, I know the guy did something wrong. I know it was terrible. I feel for him. I know it was his fault. I know he brought it upon himself. I know, I know, I know. But the guy's facing some brutal living. He's going to prison. And anybody going to prison is tough, man. It's really tough. Hey, you know what I watched this weekend? What's that?
I watched the 48-hour mystery that was about that girl from here in San Diego that poisoned her husband that was in the Marines. Really? Yes. Holy Toledo, was that good. You guys, that 48-hour mystery, it's one of the best shows on TV, like, hands down. It's so, like, you can't stop watching. It's so compelling. So, LaDainian Tomlinson was on 60 Minutes last night. describing what playing football is like for him. Cut 81. They say that each time you play a game, it's like being in a car wreck. And so that's 20 car wrecks in one year. Yeah, I have to prepare my body for that type of abuse. No, thank you. I've asked, for Christmas, I've asked for an LT jersey, which was, it's tough for me to go LT because LT is... thin as a human being he's thin and i am not and you know lt like really runs very fast and i don't and so like i want an lt jersey but i'm like wow i mean talk about just not how strange for me to have on an lt jersey it's almost disrespectful it's almost disrespectful and then i thought and then i thought
And then I thought, you know, I got to wear like a defensive player because it'll be like more like the big guys. I can't wear an offensive lineman's shirt because then I'm just saying to the world, hey, look, I'm fat. You know, so like there was a lot of thought that goes into it. But I just like LT so much. I think I want the LT jersey. Sky's looking at me right now like I'm a cricket speaking English. Or a crazy person. Let me help you out. Go ahead, Eddie. I don't think people will. confuse you with LT. I don't think they'll go, like, dude, there's LT. Wait, what happened to him? You're supporting one of your favorite players. That's okay. You can be in any shape. I guarantee you people would confuse me. You really think so? I guarantee you. You'd be like, damn, what happened to LT? No, no, no, no. It's not a question of confusing. It's a question of, oh, man, does that guy look goofy in an LT jersey? No. It's one of those. I don't think anyone would have ever. All you got to do is go to one Charger game and you'll see plenty of people that are, you know.
All shapes and sizes. All shapes and sizes. At least Sky would do that to you. That is true. She's very judgmental. What are you talking about? Of Mike. Of Mike. Of Mike. I've never... Oh, okay. Cut 82. If I ask him questions... This is his wife. He pretty much will ignore me until I keep asking and he'll finally say, you know I don't talk on game day. Because for me, it's a point of survival for the day. Not knowing if I'm going to come out of the game able to walk or... Or anything. All the stories that you see. And guys that get injured. And can't play anymore. Ever. It's brutal. It's brutal out on the football field. Crazy. That's crazy. It's somehow cool to me. But to have that mindset. Every Sunday. He's for real man. He's just real into it. That is intense. Here's his wife explaining. Her thoughts on whether or not she wants their kids to play football cut 83. That's going to be a lot of pressure on them to live up to the legend that their father is and will be. It's true. Look at Tony Gwynn's kid. You've got to let them play if they want to play. You can't say, no, you can't play football because you might not be as good as your dad and that'll be rough.
You can't play. I mean, you can't do that. Cut 84. Something extraordinary. When you were five, you started sleeping with a football? Yeah. Pause. What's going on with that man asking the question? He's making me nervous. Let's play that again. Cut 84. Something extraordinary. You started sleeping with a football? Oh, yeah. And holding it, you know, as I went to sleep. Your younger brother, LeVar, said that ball would lie in your arms like a girlfriend. Yeah. And you kept on holding it for 15 years, I understand. Yes, I did. It's a lot longer than most marriages. Yeah. Still to this day, it's in between the nightstand and the bed. Here's the bed, here's the nightstand, there's the football on the floor.
You created that football with the children of the night. Look at you score the touchdown. One, two, three touchdowns. Cut 85. Actually, when we were kids, I wrote a letter to her and told her I would get her a house like this. How old was I? Probably about eight years old or so. You were able to write, even though it was hard to understand. You know, you have an awful bad handwriting, but yeah. But yeah, he was pretty young. Yeah, he wrote his mom a letter when he was a kid saying he was going to buy her a big house. I think he came through on his word. Probably. Probably came through on his word. We're doing Secret Santa here on the show. We're doing Secret Santa here. I have some issues with Secret Santa. Uh-oh. Some worries. Oh.
Are you doing Secret Santa at your work, P1s? You guys do the Secret Santa? Secret. Right. Is it out when they, or do you just like, do they hand it to you personally so you go, oh, you were my Secret Santa. Is that how it works? Or you get the gift and then you all sit together and go, oh, I wonder who gave this to me. Is that how it works? How does it work, the Secret Santa, Eddie? I think it works both ways. You can do it either way. You can do it either way. In our family, we draw names. You don't tell anybody until the end. But you do eventually do a reveal. Yes. Does anybody do the thing where you don't ever know? Yeah, back in San Jose, that's the way we would do it. We would draw names and then there would be like a tree and then you'd put all the presents under the tree and you could sign either your name or you could sign Secret Santa. So it was up to you if you wanted to reveal yourself. There it is. Okay, I want to talk about this.
I want to talk about this stuff at work. Like, if you got this stuff going on at work, I want to talk to you about it because we'll do that. You don't have to call right now because we'll bring this back. Katie Daryl is next from TMZ. We'll find out what's going on next. Hello? Who's the man? Uh, Mikey? Hello? Ready to strike. On Rock 105.3. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Hi, it's a tough ride in our freeways here this morning. You've got things easing up a little bit out of the South Bay, but still finding some breakouts on the North Town 5. We're on that South Bay freeway. 805 North Town bunches up around Imperial Avenue. Then it's heavy from Market Street in North Park. And now you've got the crawl from Mesa College. All the way up in single digits to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. West 94, that's a slow ride now from Euclid Avenue. Pretty solid all the way into downtown. The West 8 ride coming out of the East County backs up from Spring Street to Mesa all the way in toward the 15 freeway. Bunches up again from Texas out to Mission Center Road. So Westbound 52 has got a little bit of slow traffic here out of Santee, but it really gets tougher here from the 15.
Into Kearney Mesa all the way under the 805. That's where it's a slow one there. South 15 looking much better. Down at Escondido, you'll find a brief slowdown in Rancho Bernardo. And a few more brake lights in Carmel Mountain Ranch. The coaster ride, Southbound 5, stays tough in single digits as well. That's a crawl from La Costa all the way to Solana Beach. And a traffic alert in effect here on the eastbound side of the 78. It's got you backed up here from Plaza Drive, slow and go, to an accident clearing just past Escondido Avenue. Down with Lawrence on Rock, 105.3. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Every single item on here, I'm like, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Now more of the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. Our girl, Katie Daryl, is on the line. Hello, hello. Katie, how are you? I'm not going to lie. I'm dragging today. We had our TMZ holiday party this weekend. Oh, there it is. That sounds like it. Listen to the voice.
Wow. You guys, I mean, think about it. We should have had cameras filming us. I mean, it would have been a downfall if this was leaked to the internet. No. Okay, question. I have a question. All right. Is this like, is this like all of the reporters and like even some of the paparazzi people or what's going on? Oh, yeah. I mean, it was the entire step. I walked in and I was like, half these people I didn't even know. I was like, where did these people come from? It was all the photographers. It was all the shooters. Luckily, nothing huge happened Saturday night because no one was out to cover it. That is crazy. I mean, it was everyone that you see in that morning meeting. And what was amazing is half of them I didn't recognize because they had all showered. Oh, wow. To go to the party. Because we have to get here at 6 in the morning, so you understand you guys are up early, too. Your morning look is much different than your showered nighttime look. That's right. And we never get to enjoy that with each other. Katie is on TMZ. You can see her on television. You hear her voice a lot on the TMZ show. And it's a cool format where they all sit around. And do they tape that meeting that you guys do every morning? They tape it every day?
Yeah, we tape it every morning at 6.30 a.m., so I just got out of that meeting, and that's where everyone throws out the ideas, and we talk about, you know, what video came in from the night before and over the weekend, in the case of Monday mornings, who has any new leads and gossip, what photographs have come in. So it's not just the footage that we actually even capture. It's also we find out what other media outlets are selling things like X17 because someone may have captured something that we didn't have. We're throwing out all the ideas. We're sticking them on the board. And then right now, this is my downtime because my producers are back in the main office kind of figuring out which are the best stories and how they're going to divvy them up. And then I'm going to rock out of this interview with you guys. And they're going to say, this is your story for the day. And I'm going to pound the pavement and start working that story. I was going to say, because it's a good thing they're giving them to you because I was thinking, is there ever a time where you guys are sitting in there and you're like, nah, I got nothing. Nothing this morning. I mean, certainly in the morning meetings, like, you know, we all have to pitch the story because we have to get in early. You know, I'm here by 6 a.m. looking at the video, but they always encourage you to come in with your own gossip and your own juice. And so, you know, after a couple mornings of not coming in with something original, you start to get the eyeball from them. And you're like, oh, crap. So you go home and start calling all of your friends. And you're like, listen.
You work at a floral shop. Has any stars come in and ordered anything for a lover? Yeah. Have you had to be like, I think that a couple of my neighbors are hooking up. I know. Seriously. And luckily, again, like this morning, you know, since we did have the holiday party, I'm like, well, I know that the editor back in edit bay one is screwing around with money. All right. So, Katie, so what's going on? What happened over the weekend? All right. Well, over the weekend, I mean, you know, we get Britney all the time, you guys. I'm sure even sometimes I get sick of it, so I'm sure you guys sometimes get sick of it. But we constantly see her going into Starbucks, going to the gas station, going to the Four Seasons. So this weekend we have her everywhere. But what was a little bit more special about this weekend is when she went to the Chevron gas station, she ran inside, got herself a pack of cigarettes, walked halfway out the door and turned around, ran back, grabbed a lighter off the counter. and then ran out the door without paying for it and even said to the cameras, ooh, I'm so bad, I stole something, I stole something, and then jumped in the car and took off. So, what do you make of that? Like, what do you think that's about, Katie? You know, I actually, I had to raise my hand in the meeting this morning to be like, are we 100% sure that she hadn't paid for both cigarettes and lighter and walked out the door and forgot that she didn't have the lighter in hand and went back?
And they said, yes, you know, we actually went back and talked to the guy at the store. And it turns out she did not pay for the lighter. A photographer did go back in later and paid for it on her behalf. And the store owner said, hey, it's fine. She could come in here anytime we want to see her back. But, you know, it's blatant disregard for the rules. The law. Well, yeah. And I was saying, too, earlier, because we were talking about when we first signed on this morning, I was saying. If some black dude named Sean Wilson walked in, took a lighter, and walked out, would the store owner be going, oh, he's welcome back any time? Right. No, Sean Wilson, whoever this guy is, would not be welcome back. Exactly. So that's a weird story. And this isn't the first time that the paparazzi has actually stepped in and covered things for her. We have footage of her going through, I believe it was Taco Bell a couple months ago. And there was just so many people around the vehicle that when she got the food... she couldn't get out the window to then pay. So one of the photographers just said, just go, go, go, go, I'll get it, I'll get it, and let her drive away. And someone, you know, pulled money out of their pocket and paid for her food. So it's interesting how, you know, the nepotism that becomes involved with these photographers because, you know, she's their bread and butter, and they're willing to take money out of their pocket to make her happy and get the shot that they need. Katie, a question. All right, answer. Do you think, or I want you to tell me,
What do you think is behind the psychology of somebody that knows that they are going to be harassed like crazy by photographers and decides that they want to drive themselves to Taco Bell? Because Eddie brought up the... The thing of like, well, she obviously must want the attention because she could very clearly send somebody to go get her Taco Bell. Like, why is she walking into shop for her own chandelier? Why is she putting herself in dopey, like going to do stupid things? You know, I saw this great interview with Jennifer Lopez in Mark Anthony a couple weeks ago. And Jennifer Lopez was talking about that same thing that she used to be so oversaturated in the media. And she, you know, when she was Bennifer, you know, as Ben Affleck, that she was, you know, harassed by the paparazzi. And it's definitely toned down on her. And that Mark Anthony taught her that you need to not give the photographers the shot. You need to wear the same outfit days in a row so that they can't sell it to the trades because it looks like it's all happening on the same day. So it's not anything fresh. It's not anything new. You need to make sure that you are ducking in your vehicle and they can't get the shot. And eventually they're going to get tired of you.
Sure, people still are scrounging and get those photos of, you know, Brangelina and all them. And they want the photo. But if they can't get it, they start to go to where they can get it and where they can make their money. And that's what Brittany is right now. And so I think the psychology of Brittany, I mean, she just seems to be terrified to be forgotten. You know, she's so afraid that if she's not there one day that she's going to be forgotten, that she is running out. I mean, we had last weekend. But it's so bad. It's so bad. It's so bad, though. That's the thing that freaks me out is like. It always looks so bad. And Britney does the opposite. Britney will change outfits multiple times a day to get more pictures. Well, that's weird. Yeah, that's very true. That's very true. You know, the court-appointed child-like service agent or social worker had pointed that out, that she does change her clothes all the time. So, I mean, she's definitely feeding into it. Listen, I'm still a Britney fan. You know, I love her album. Listen, at the TMZ party, the DJ put on Give Me More, like every third song, and we loved it. We loved Britney. I want her to come back. I want things to get good for her. I've always been a fan of hers. And it's just really sad. It's so sad and disturbing to see someone just feeding into, you know, she's feeding the wolves. Yeah, yeah. She's not well right now. What else is a big story out there? Oh, my God. I saw Chris Crocker this weekend. I got to meet him, by the way. Was he at the party? He was at...
No, he was at this art exhibit. I don't know if I can even... I'm forgetting what words I'm allowed to say on the radio or not. It's the word for boob that starts with a T and ends with a T. Can't say that one. Can't say that one. What if it's a combination and makes another word? No. It was the Mary... Okay, listen, listen. The Mary boob mess, but not boob. It was another word. The Mary boob mess art exhibit in Hollywood. And it was all these... art, you know, things of boobs and breasts and different things. And he had a photo in the exhibit of him with the girl that you always see him running around Hollywood with, with their shirts off, pressing their kind of chest together. So you don't see any nipples or anything, just kind of side profile. But he was there, you know, unveiling his new art exhibit. And he was in a see-through pink nightie with a black thong. And I saw all of his junk. Gross. Gross. There he is now. He's really upset.
It's all right, Chris. It's all right. Take it easy. What else is going on? All right, so we had the Brittany Leiter, we had the Chris Crocker, and then, oh, Paris Hilton. Remember, she's been dating this pizza boy. You know, she was walking outside on the nightclub. I thought that was a long time ago. Is she still seeing that, dude? No, we think it's over because it looks like Paris Hilton is going to be getting back together with Stavros. Yeah, and now wasn't there a deal, and maybe this is a bad source. But was there a fight between her and Lindsay Lohan over that dude? Well, yeah, you know, there had been trouble way back when, you know, back before Lindsay even went into rehab, because they were kind of all running in the same circle together, and Paris seems to be very territorial with her men, and she wants them to adore her and only her. And so Stavros and Lindsay had hung out months ago, and then just recently they were all in, like, New York, and Stavros wasn't hanging out with Paris, he was hanging out with Lindsay Lohan, and it looks like Paris got jealous again, and... You know, listen, this guy's working it and doing a good job because this weekend he was down in Miami and sent Paris a private jet to come pick her up and flew her down to Miami. And they hung out all weekend. We have a photo at TMZ.com right now of them getting nice and cozy. It looks like there's a kiss involved.
Pizza Boy is pushing the curb, but, you know, man, his career didn't hurt from hanging out with her, huh? Yeah, I mean, his stock just went through the roof. Yeah, I mean, just last weekend, we got footage of him over at Chip and Pepper, the denim company. Ah, yes. And he's talking to them about being, like, a new model. Ah, yes, Chip and Pepper. I'm wearing a pair of their corduroy tights right now. I love Chip and Pepper. I got to interview those guys. They're insane. Never heard of it in my life, Katie. I've never heard of Chip and Pepper. But I am fat. I put a lot of props out to them. There you go. All right, Katie, thank you very much for coming on and filling us in. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. We still have some pretty rough spots in our freeways here this morning. We have a traffic alert still in effect here on the eastbound side of the 78 from a bad accident that was blocking lanes past Escondido Avenue. Traffic is quite heavy on the approach coming out of Oceanside. You're being advised, so avoid that area. And you've got some heavy traffic now on the south. On the 5 down that North Kennedy coastline from La Costa all the way in past Manchester. There's another bad accident here at Manchester involving some injuries. Medical crews are on the scene. And now a traffic alert in effect here as the two right lanes are blocked in the southbound 5 down the North County shoreline. Very tough. South 15 looking great, though, out of Escondido. Just a brief delay near Rancho Bernardo. The east county commute, westbound 52. That's kind of stacked up here still from just past Santo Road, past the 15, all the way in through Kearney Mesa to the 805 freeway. West 8 is easing up a bit now, so from the 805 into Mission Center Road. Your 94 King freeway, similar to the following here from the 15 in the downtown. And things have improved quite a bit out of the South Bay in this 805 northbound until you get to Mission Valley. Then once you come up from the 8th freeway, it just crawls up the hill through Kearney Mesa all the way to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5 has got a busier ride as well out of Old Town in the Mission Bay. And now more traffic on the northbound 5 as you work your way up in towards Solana Beach from that accident on the opposite side of Manchester here. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Okay, hi. Let's talk about Harrah's. Mike, I'm...
No, Mike, I want to talk about playing some poker, okay? Can we focus and talk about playing a little cards here? Yeah, Skye, get serious for a minute if you can. You're going to talk about playing poker? Yes. What do you mean? I'm all in. Well, you know, I'm a huge fan of Harrah's Ring Con. Yeah. You know, I enjoy going there and the hubby plays some cards. I get a little spa treatment, a little slot machine. Ching, ching, ching. You know, I live in Escondido. Yeah. And I'm a big fan of theirs. Turns out they're a big fan of mine. How do you like them apples, Eddie? Don't make this go this direction. I'm going to help you here. Don't go that direction. Well, anyways, Hera's having their Southern California World Series of Poker Pre-Circuit Showdown Event Part 2. Now, Eddie, as you remember, hosted Part 1 and killed it. Well, kind of. Second chance. Gets you a chance at the guaranteed $25,000 prize pool. And that includes a seat in the World Series of Poker circuit event. So it's great. Add my threes. Shut up. How dare you? 7-3 offsuit. When my hands become saturated in water, the palms get, like, disgusting. They look like a frog. Sean. Most of you listening right now, I don't like you. Okay, wait. I don't like you very much. First of all, Boston Rob. Do you guys know that if I don't write stuff on my hand, I'm an idiot? And Ashley. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I am an oyster. You keep saying it, oyster, but you know the real deal. The Mikey Show's on. Top of the morning to ya. Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show at 837. A total of five people are dead after two shooting sprees at separate Colorado church facilities yesterday. In case you haven't heard, Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in jail. The topic is the secret Santa. We all do this at work or in our family. We're doing it in our family and we drew names and everybody knows who got who.
It is a controversy in our family because there have been times where somebody would not, they would draw a name and they wouldn't send anything to anybody. Oh, jeez. But they accept their gift? Yes. That's terrible. And what they would do is they would say, oh, we're sending it. You know, we're sending it. Yeah. We're sending it. So it pulls a Sean tactic. Yes. We're sending it. Like Sean, when Sean says, oh, yes. It's, I have it. Right. Did you not get it yet? No. Here we go. Here we go. I swear to God, we said it last week. And so it begins. And so it begins. And so it begins. And let the journey begin. Yes, that is correct. You'll be laughing out the other end at the end of this week, I guess. We will. I'm sure we will. How does that even make sense? It doesn't. Laughing out the other end. Now, here's the deal. I am nervous about our Secret Santa. What? On the show. We have a Secret Santa on the show. First time ever. It's the first time ever, but listen. Don't give anything to people you don't have. Don't do it. We've made this agreement. And don't give them something and don't say, oh, but I had this before we ever. That means you too, buddy. I won't.
I can see you going like, oh, but it was just this one thing. No excuses either. None of this. Oh, but I got it before we made the rule. Nothing like... I'm good. No problem. Yes, Skye's got her hand up. Yeah, tell Rob. I got a question. Skye drew me, by the way. She's miserable about it. Accurate. I gave my wife a list of 10 things, Skye. What? I gave my wife, I just sent my wife today, a list of 10 things I want. In fact, there might have been 12 things I want. Oh, yeah. I reached out to her and she was... She didn't know. Right. She didn't know. Right. But I got it all figured out. Your stuff's already purchased. Oh. I'm cool. Wow. All right. But I got a question regarding this not buying other people other stuff. See, one person's going to screw it up for the rest of us. I was hoping to bake my friend cookies. Is that okay? What friend? My friends. Oh, yeah. The show. I was too. That's okay. That's nice. Okay, hey, I just didn't want to get yelled at, okay? I know there's a lot of rules going on. Okay, so cookies are acceptable. As long as they're baked. What about, okay, can we discuss this? Can we openly discuss it without judgment? Like if I ask a question, nobody goes, Mike! All you have to say is very kindly say, no, Mike, no. All right. But you're the one with the rules. I know.
I just want to hear. I want to hear. Oh, gosh. What do we got, Mike? Careful. Okay, I'm just saying. Careful. Oh, man. Go ahead. I'm not fighting you! I just don't like the whole thing. It's so nerve-wracking. Nerve-wracking? Well, I was going to say, well, what about, like... Gags. We shouldn't do gags either, right? Mike! You said nothing! You said nothing! Make up your mind, dude. Over your rules! God! Nothing. You're going to blow this. Nothing except bacon. You're going to ruin it. I didn't ruin it. You're going to. You're trying to. Okay, you guys, quit making rules. Eddie, why is it an issue in your family? Why is there drama? Let me tell you something. It always has been an issue because we've done this since I can remember. We've always done it. And with our thing, we go even a step further where we write like a secret Santa poem and you have to read the poem and guess who it is. What are you talking about? Give me an example of how that sounds. Like you have to write this thing.
And it's, like, usually, like, a rhyming poem thing. Like, do you mean, like, hickory dickory dock, guess who gave you that sock? Yeah, pretty much. Okay. You know, it has to do with you. Well said. And that person has to guess you. Okay. So, I mean, it's been this thing. Like, my uncle has this huge, like, book of, you know. all the ones we've done over the years and it's crazy question yeah so when i go so i read it and it's hey hickory dickory dog guess who gave you the sock and i'm like and it gives me clues of who it is right yeah and i'm like okay i think it's eddie and what if it isn't if it isn't then you have to wait until everybody goes again until you can guess again and open your gift so you get it's because you get multiple gifts from the same person Is that what you mean? No, you get one gift, but you can't open it until you guess the right name. Oh, that's kind of fun. It's been pretty fun. But there's this thing that it's like an exclusive club that is only with my family members. So boyfriends, girlfriends, friends of the family, extended family, we don't let them in. And whenever there is somebody new, like somebody gets a new boyfriend or whatever, they want them to play.
it causes the biggest controversy in my family to the point of where two of my family members are still kind of on the outs because of comments made about Secret Santa. What do you mean? One of my cousins basically said to another cousin's boyfriend, you're not part of our family, you can't play. Oh, wow. It is, man. It's an exclusive club, man. Wow. The thing that sounds difficult about it is no set rules, so you guys don't really know. It's, like, unspoken rules. It is kind of an unspoken rule, but, I mean, I know, like, whenever I had girlfriends that came to, like, our Christmases, I would have to tell them, like, hey, we do this thing, it's a family tradition, and you're not allowed in. Were you upset about it? No, because I'm one of the believers that that's the way it should be. Now, once you marry into the family, you're in. You're a part of the family. Now, what do the outsiders do? Are they allowed to sit and enjoy? No, no, no. You have to sit outside. Yeah, you have to go outside. Of course they can sit. So they sit there. Wait a second. They like it. They have fun. They listen to all the different things. They're just observing. Everybody opening presents. Having the best time ever.
That's brutal. That is uncomfortable. I would think that the person would be brooding. Whoever's girlfriend that is, they're just sitting there brooding. You wouldn't believe it. One of my cousins was with a girl since high school. She had come around every year. he kept saying, you know, can she participate? And people would tell him no. And I'm like, this girl's been around for like 10 years. And they wouldn't let her in. And then finally she got married to him and now she's able to participate. Oh, wow. Well, this went well. This is brutal, dude. 570-1053 if you have drama concerning your secret Santa. And then there's always the thing in our family about like, there's certain members you don't want to get or you don't want them to get you. Because you know you're going to get a junk gift or something like that. You pull your name and you're like, oh, not them. Well, I can't say which brother. But my brother Mark, well... Yeah, you just named him. We have to have in my family a minimum price. Because of...
We don't set a ceiling. Not a maximum. We set a cellar. Oh my gosh. Because of him. That's too much. Because of him, we had to say, listen, so that people's feelings aren't hurt, we must buy a gift for someone that is a minimum of $50. And I know that's a lot of money, but it's got to... Okay? But $50, please. Because that's the only gift you're getting that you're doing with your family. Exactly. And so meanwhile, he's getting like $350 cameras. And what is he giving? Which, by the way, he makes it so abundantly clear. What am I going to do with this? When you give him something. He smiles and looks confused. He smiles and looks confused by the gift. Like it's a camera. Dude, what do you want from me? This guy. And then he just, like, when you draw him, he places his order. Bullets, Mike. Bullets, Mike. Bullets, Mike. Bullets. My dad drew him. And my dad said to me last night, where do I get those Israeli bullets? And I so...
apathetically go, Rebecca's got the email address. Rebecca has a website. Find it from her. Bullets. Well, we remember a certain member of the show's reaction when her name was drawn by a certain someone. I do not recall. I know Sky got upset when she drew me. Why? Yeah, and so we had a redraw, and Sky drew me again. Yeah, it wasn't Sky that I was talking about. Who was upset? Ashley? Was Ashley upset? What happened? Well, was she upset with who she drew or who drew her? Who drew her? Who drew her? I have no idea. Did Seth draw her? Sean. Oh, Sean drew her. Yeah, she was real disappointed. Look at her face. I don't think it's necessarily that she's disappointed. Look at his face! She might be worried.
Oh, she was disappointed. No, disappointed. Yeah, 100%. Ashley's looking at me right now. She's got a big smile on her face, and she is shaking her head. That's not true. I can clear up the air right now. Clear up the air. I can clear up the air right now. Clear up the air. Clear up the air. This is the deal. This is the deal. Sean had already told us. that he bought all of us on the show gifts already. So I'm like, oh, great. He already got my gift. He's probably not going to buy me anything else. It's probably not going to be like some extreme gift. And the chances of him mailing it to me are so slim anyways that I was a little bit kind of just like worried. So here, let me explain. Let me further illustrate what she's saying. You're terrible. What she's saying is, is that... It's okay. Let me explain. She's so mean. Let me explain. Wow. What she's saying is, well, Sean did something nice. He got everybody on the show gifts, but there are different kinds of gifts. There are gifts of, hey, I really want to get Mike, Eddie, and Sky a gift, and I can't really give them something without giving Ashley, Rob, and Zeth something. So here's a scarf, Ashley, or something like small. You don't know that. Hang on. You don't know that. I'm just illustrating what I think she said.
Thank you, Mike. Like, you get your main friend something, but you can't be rude. Oh, I disagree. How dare you? How dare you? How dare you, sir, throw Sean under the sleigh? What I think she's saying. I don't think this. I think Ashley's saying it. So, anyway. Oh, please. So, like, I'll get something really cool for Mikey, Eddie, and Skye. I can't send them something without getting something for Ashley and Robin. Okay, so I'll get them like a... Wow. I'll get them like a CD that I got as a promotional gift. Oh, no. Sean would not do that. Now, then what Ashley is saying is... On that sky. But now... That's a good point. At least I send people birthday presents. Hang on. Oh, no. Here we go. This is Christmas. Here we go. This is our family. Why did Sean not send you a birthday present? Oh, you mean... Hang on. Hang on. So... Enjoy your bikini in December. Jeez. So then we do Secret Santa. Then Sean draws her name and now he will get something really. But he already bought the gifts. So that's what she said. She's like well he's not going to go out and get me like. And I've never gotten anything. Well she's worried it's not going to be good enough. It has to be good enough for her. I've never gotten anything serious from him.
Anyways, last year he got me cookie dough perfume. And he got me liar breath-like mints. Liar breath mints, which I didn't even know existed. This sounds great. It's mints that help you to not be a liar. You understand my concern, Mike. But that was last year's gift. You understand my concern. That was last year's gift. It could be worse, you could have got Rob. That is true. That is true. I'm going to say this. Ashley just has the guts to say what everybody listening in our audience right now thinks. She's just saying it out loud. Because we all have a little kid in us. All of us. It's the same reason why my family, because people in my family go, oh, Mike has a good job. Hope he draws me. And they'll say it. And then when I draw someone's name,
And we're all together. Yes! Which is so rude to whoever's sitting next to them. You know what I mean? And so Ashley is just saying with all the P1s, what we all privately think. So rude. Everyone knows the Sean type. That's not right. I'm looking forward to my gift, Sean. How dare you, Eddie? I appreciate you, Eddie. Give me a break. P1 Curse of Richard Simmons is on the line. Hi, P1 Curse of Richard Simmons. Hey, what's going on, guys? Not too much. How are you? Okay, I have a story from hell. Okay, we have a great-grandma artist, and we got my sister and myself, and I myself brought a toilet seat, and my family have a minimum gift of $20, maximum of $30. I get a toilet seat, my sister brings a camera. I'm sitting on the camera, and great. Grandma, it's time I heard her in a pic, a number, and she ends up stealing my camera instead. I take a gift from my cousin, which is just a DVD. My sister's turn comes up, and she takes the camera from great-grandma. Great-grandma flips out, throws her hot coffee on my sister, and flips it on my sister. The whole time, she's glaring at my sister like she's a whore from Britain. Not happening. So great-grandma's flipping out the entire time. We're trying to hush her up, but my uncle's winking at us. You know, you guys just give it some time. She'll get over it.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, he had been chopping up her painkillers, and about ten minutes into the game, Grandma starts to gnaw off and ends up passing out on the floor. Signing up with the DVD, pays a thunder, Grandma's passed out on the floor with a blanket over her while we finished the game. This has got to sound familiar for a lot of people. I mean, I know it's crazy, but hey, man, that's families. Families are weird. Really just, it drives the Christmas spirit home for you, doesn't it? It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And it's not the first time that she's done this either. No, I believe you. P1 Lindsay. So I go to a home fellowship with my husband. It's like a small group through my church of young married couples. And we decided one year to play the game, but we played a little different where everyone brings a gift and then you draw numbers from one to however many people are there. And we all decided before we played the game that if you draw number one, you get to go first and then you get to go last.
So it's like a draft? It's like a white elephant. Yeah, like a gift exchange where you can pull a gift, but then it can be stolen so many times before it's off the board. Dirty Santa, they call it. Question. So you see the gifts. You know what the gifts are. Well, no. Not in the beginning. You pick your number. You open it. And then after it's open, you can pick an unopened or you can steal the one that's open. Wait a second. Hang on a minute. That's what this dude was talking about with his grandma. Now, wait a minute. Question. Open the first gift. And let's say that the first gift is a lovely scarf. And that is immediately wanted to be given away. Doesn't the person that bought the scarf feel bad? You can't give it away. You can't give it away. It can only be stolen. It can only be stolen. Okay, so your feelings are never hurt. They're kind of lifted. They're lifted, maybe. Well, some items are never stolen, and some items everyone's trying to steal. So you can't still inside go, oh, that sucks. Nobody wanted to steal mine. Oh, wow. Okay, so what happened, Lindsay? So I...
There's lots of different ways to play the game where you can play where number one goes first and last or you can just play where you go when you go. And so I said, let's play that number one goes first and last. And sure enough, me and my husband drew number one. And so everyone started opening the gifts. And number one is the best one because you can wait until the very end and you get to go last. You get to see what everything is. And the people in my group, I mean, they're crazy. One guy brought his old military boots. And one guy brought, you know, they bring stupid stuff. So there was this one cool thing. I collect snowmen. I love snowmen Christmas decorations. And there was this one thing. It's from Hallmark. You know, you push the little hand and it sings. And I've got little kids. And so I was like, oh, I want that. So I stole it from this girl who happens to be one of my pretty good friends. And I stole it from her. And she's like, before that, she knew I was going to steal it. So she was hiding it under her pillow. Yeah. She didn't want me to see it. And I was just laughing, you know, having a good time, and she was, like, starting to get pissed. And so I go laugh, and I walk over to her, and she's looking at me, and she's like, I hate you. And I'm like, I'm one of your good friends, you know? And so I laugh about it, and she's like, no, I really hate you. And I stole it from her, and I walked back across the room, and everyone's like, awkward. So you ended up with it, though, right?
She starts, she's like getting all red and almost about to cry. So I finally throw it back at her. I'm like, you can have it. It's just a stinking game. Wow. Whoa. So it got serious? It got, you're saying it got serious, Lindsay? I don't know. I mean, I wasn't mad about it, but I just was like, you can have it. I'd rather have a friendship than this stupid little, you know, animal thing. Ah, the spoon. Ah, small group. See what I'm saying? We all have little kid in us. We all have it in there. When we come back, I have the audio. I got a couple of pieces of amazing audio. One of them is this Major League Baseball pitcher who came up with a device. It's like a jock. It's called the Nutty Buddy. I have audio of him trying to show its effectiveness with a baseball to the groin. It's next.

Oh, you're welcome, San Diego. K-I-O-Z, San Diego's rock. The Mikey Show continues, featuring the very cool Mikey. I am not cool. Eddie. I cannot be touched when I'm sleeping. Sky. I am a massage whore, as we all know. Sean. Lately, I've been really obsessed with cleaning in between my fingers. Boston Rob. I love rocking a toothpick. And I never buy them. I get them from restaurants. And Ashley. The Mikey Show on Rock 105.3. Sky is playing the air flute. Eddie is playing the air bagpipes. And there is not flute or bagpipe in this song. How dare you? Maybe they are tucked into the mix so well. Thank you.
That I can't hear them. Well, I play my game Bagpipe Hero. Yeah, that's a good one. I've gotten really good at it. I know that'll make Rob mad. You do play Bagpipe Hero? Bagpipe Hero. It's really good. It's really fun. What's your favorite song to play on Bagpipe Hero? Freak on a Leash. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good one. Tough to keep up, but... I'll tell you what, that toy bagpipe is the cutest thing I think ever. Well, I mean, Rob hates it. He hates it. Why don't you learn a real bagpipe, dude? Why don't you go to bagpipe school? But he's kind of a hothead. He is a hothead. I'm not a hothead. Plus, it's way too big for him. A mini-mini. I'm called for. Open the line. 570-1053 is our telephone number. Dolly Parton wants Scarlett Johansson to play her in the movie version of her.
If there ever is, or there is. Is somebody writing a movie about you, Dolly? Well, they say that, yeah, she has a screenplay written and that she's trying to get Tom Cruise to back it with his money and his studio connections. But her first choice would be Scarlett Johansson to play her. I don't necessarily think that that's a bad choice. Well, there's two good reasons why. Okay. What are they, Eddie? Well, one reason is she's a great actress. No. Right. I wasn't going to say that. She can do accents. Maybe that's what it is. Mikey Show. Hey, I just want to say I love the show. And I think it's about time we hear the Holy Night. Oh, yes. In fact, it is on my docket. I will be playing it before the hour is up. Love it. Hey, Eddie, I just want to say long live the McRib, buddy. You know it. Are you a big fan of the McRib as well? I'm a huge fan of the McRib. I love the McRib. I love you guys. Eddie is on record as being very pro-rib. Well, you know, to me, there's nothing better than a piece of meat with fake bones in it that are, you know, there's no bones. Right. But it looks like there's bones. It looks like bones. And they soak it in that barbecue sauce all day long. All day long? Yeah, they put it in there in the morning. Is it simmered? It's delicious. Not supposed to be? Onion, pickle, and that's it.
I mean, it's a little slice of heaven. And the sweetest sauce. It's like eight gallons of sugar in that sauce. And you only get it every so often. That's right. And excuse me for being rude, but I forgot to introduce myself. It's the P1 Leonidas. There you go. Oh, well. The P1 Leonidas is a big-time P1. He calls in all the time, and he calls himself Leonidas because he's a fan of the movie 300. Oh, my gosh. Don't say it. Yeah. We're coming over. You're going to watch it? today. I'm coming over and I think we should watch it with our shirts off. That just got so weird. We look like gladiators. Because we're like gladiators. I would sit on each other's laps. Now you're getting weird, Sean. Gladiators that let themselves go. Fat-iators. P1 Doug is on the line. What's up, Doug? Hey, how are you, man? First of all, I love your show.
i just have a question or maybe i guess i'm really looking for some advice here i don't know if you can help me out okay i've been out um a few times uh about three times actually with this uh really cool chick her name is susan um and we've been out three times and each time that i've seen her she looks different and it's like she has these completely different looks each time and i don't mean like slight variations like oh this is i'm kind of dressed up here and stuff but Like, the first time I saw her, she looked, you know, kind of like this nice kind of woman next door type of thing. You know, she had straight hair. She was really cute. The second time... What did she dress like? Well, the second time, she was almost like this goth punk girl. What? The first time her hair was straight, the second time... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Go back, go back. What did she dress like when she was a normal chick? Well, it was, you know, she was just kind of wearing like this nice... girl-next-door type of thing. She had on, like, this lightweight sweater and, like, a pair of pants, jeans type of thing. I mean, just really casual and nice, you know? So I planned a restaurant that I thought would be fun for us to go to, and then she comes here, and she's kind of all goffed out, like, with these crazy thrasher punk hair type of thing, too. Whoa! Bartling, you know? It's like, I would recognize her, but I...
I wouldn't have necessarily known that it was the same person if I didn't know what she looked like. Does that make sense? Oh, yeah. That would skeeve me out, man. That would weird me out so bad. For sure. And then she did it again. Third time, completely different work again. The third time she kind of came out and she had like pigtails almost. It was like this goofy type of... Like Britney? goofy pigtails and just kind of, I just, I don't know how to say anything. Are you talking like schoolgirl type of deal? Like a teeny bopper look? Not, I mean, not like, you know, complete with uniform or anything. I mean, it's not like she's multiple personality or anything, you know, but I kind of wondered for a second, but it's, and she seems perfectly normal each time. It's not like she's doing some sort of weird affectation or anything. Do you know what I mean? It's just literally, she looks different everywhere. Every single time I've seen it. Did you bring it up? No. And she hasn't referenced it at all, like, oh, I thought we were going to a club, so that's why I got all gossed out. It's not like she's seen dressing or anything. There is 0% chance, 0% chance that I would not bring that up.
Zero percent chance. What would you say? Do it on the second date or the third date? Oh, I would just be, I'd be really cool about it, but I'd be very open and honest. How do you bring it up? I would go, my good, I would compliment her and say, you look really pretty. You know, this is the third look that I've seen you in so far. That's not mean. It's observational. Right? What if she were to be like, what do you mean? Dude, I would almost want her to say what do you mean so I could explain. I go, well, I love the pigtails and you look great. You look fantastic. Last time I saw you, you almost had kind of a goth look. And the time before that, when I first met you, was different still. And three different looks I've seen from you. I hate you. You know what I'm saying? I would want to get some sort of explanation. I want one right now. I don't think it's weird at all. Are you put off by it or turned off? It's not that I'm put off. I just don't know what to expect. It's kind of exciting. Ashley, you don't find that... Okay, let's take the word weird out. It's not so weird. I'm going to ask Ashley.
Because she said that. So, Ash, are you telling me that you don't think that this guy going out with a girl, she looks totally girl next door, next time goth, next time Brittany, you don't think that that is, you don't think that that's a little unusual? I don't necessarily think it's that crazy because I know that I personally love all sorts of different looks. I'm kind of a chameleon. I can do the goth thing where we're all black and have black nails. Or I can do the preppy thing where I dress up or whatever. So it's versatility. I think it's okay to have a girl who is casual and then maybe when you take her out at night she dresses it up. But I think it's very extreme to go from girl next door to goth. to schoolgirl. I mean, that's really extreme. Well, here's the deal. I've seen Ashley do kind of what she's talking about. Sometimes Ashley will come in and she'll have this kind of 80s look. Yeah, true. But one thing I've never seen Ashley come in here doing is goth. I've just never seen it. Maybe she does goth and I've never seen it, but I think goth is a very striking... Well, she'll go from like 80s...
to, like, business casual, to, like, frumpy frat house. You know what I mean? It just kind of depends what mood she's in. And, you know, honestly, I gotta say, all of those ones you just mentioned, Eddie, they all seem very practical. Yeah. Goth, it's a little like, whoa. But if I met Ashley for the first time, three consecutive times and she had three consecutive looks, I would be a little weirded out by that. I'd think she could be kind of, you know, strange. P1 Fatlow is on the line. P1 Fatlow, you there? Hey, Mikey. What's up? I'm trying to figure out what this guy is complaining about. I mean, he gets to date a new chick every single time. Like four or five chicks wrapped into one. That's kind of cool. Fatlow, you don't think it's weird? Not really. Not if you're just dating, you know? I mean... if all of a sudden you had a girlfriend for a while and she started doing stuff like that, but to begin with, I think it's pretty cool. Man, we are different guys. We are different fellas. I mean, it says, you know, Doug said she has the same personality, so it's different looks. There would not be a fourth date. Did you say that? She got the same, so she doesn't act differently. She just looks different. Yeah, she's not like role-playing or anything, at least not that I can tell. Yeah. And I think it's the hair, too. It's not just like, oh, I have this different shirt or this different kind of,
fit, so she changes things, you know what I mean? It's just kind of like the extreme with the hair and stuff, too. Yeah, then that's definitely not a big deal. You said she dressed goth. I'm sorry? You said that the second date, she was gothed out. Yeah, but it was the hair and everything, too. I mean, it wasn't just like, oh, I'm wearing this different shirt that I really liked slightly. It's the whole thing, you know, the hair and the extremes of the hair and stuff, too. Well, you gotta get the whole look. Because to me, and I don't, you know, I don't know much about goth. I just, I guess I just kind of know the stereotypes. But what I, like, I think goth. It's like Sean in high school. It's Garvey. Yes. Well, it's kind of actually like a lifestyle. Like, to have somebody dress up as goth for, like, one night. He was a waver, dude. Yeah, sorry about that. It's not goth. Like, imagine if, like, the fourth date, she comes, she's got a big cowboy hat on, a western shirt, wranglers, big pair of boots. Like, I'd go.
What is going on? I would say, why are you doing that? Who are you? Who are you? That's a strange thing to do. Yeah. Mikey Show, hello. I have a comment about what they're talking about. Go ahead. You're on the air. Okay. Well, I just think it's like anybody's choice, like what they want to wear. It doesn't matter. Yeah, it doesn't matter what they want to wear. It's just what they want to wear. No, it is. Yes. If I gave the impression that this is communist Russia. You did. And if I gave the impression that, in fact, we are under martial law and she's not allowed to do this. I felt like I was in a bread line. Yes. And so I want to apologize for that because I've somehow given the impression that I'm saying it's against the law for her to do this, which I am not saying.
It is. She can do it. I'm just saying. Where's the toilet paper? I find it. Oh, utterly horrendous. I find it utterly horrendous. No, I find it odd. How dare you? Yeah, I do find it odd. I mean, she's not doing anything to anybody. No, she's not. I knew she was. Wait a second. It's also up to him whether or not he's attracted to this chameleon. What is your name, girl on the phone? My name is Corey. Corey, you don't think it's a little unusual? Not really. I mean... Corey's a girl, right? I don't know. Corey, how old are you? 18. Okay. And when I said she, I got the impression from... the studio audience here, the live studio audience that we have, I got the impression that they were sort of shocked when I said girl. Well, the studio audience was on the fence about it, and then hearing Corey, the studio audience was like, ooh, that didn't really help. Is it a guy? Is it a girl? Could have been Pat. Could have been Chris. Corey, you are a gal, right? Yeah, I'm a girl. She's a girl. Corey, do you think that her...
Doing the normal girl next door, next date, goth, next date, you know, Britney. Do you think that that's a little unusual? I just think it is kind of extreme. Just go from wearing all black to wearing, like, black knee skirt and stuff like that. She has a right to do it. I just, my point was... She can wear it if she wants, Mike. I'm sorry. She can wear it. I just, I thought it was a little different. It was kind of different. A little different. Freaking dress in leggings. Are you going out with her again? Yeah, I mean, we're supposed to go out in a few days. What are you hoping for? Yeah. I don't know. I mean, SNM outfit now. It's kind of exciting, you know? It's kind of like, all right, who's going to show up at this thing? What's been your favorite look so far? Well, I mean... When she dressed like a boy. Hey, Mike! What happened? I don't know. The studio audience said that. You're extreme. That's... We just put the applause sign on. Let's see. P1 Holly is on the line. Are you there, Holly? Yes, I'm here. Go ahead. You have to think about it. Maybe this girl is just a weirdo with her style because maybe she just likes all this stuff and maybe she likes this guy and she's trying to show him that she's more in-depth and she has all these sides. Versatile. And she just wanted to be like, okay, well, look, this is this part of me and this is this part of me and she was just dressing up.
I'm out. She's not well right now. I am out. Hey, listen, Doug, I say run. Don't walk to the ATM. How can you bring it up? Get to the ATM, pull some money and get in a cab and get out of there. How can you say that? Ashley, let's talk it through, Ashley. How can you say that when you're staring at your assistant producer who does that every day? You don't do what... Yes, I do. You don't do goth one day. Brittany the next. I know, and I feel like this guy might be exaggerating a little bit because... What, do you know her? What is he, Zeph? No. What is he, Zeph? That's a good one, Eddie. And accurate. Girl that I'm dating has AIDS. Wait, what? He does? Too far. She sneezed at dinner. Okay, sorry. Okay, she has a cold. Sorry. Here's my opinion on this. What do you think, Seth? Well, I think that they should just... They should do what? Trailed off. The bottom line is they need to really... Oh, dude, you're mumbling. They need to really... Again. Fine. Listen closely. Okay, we're listening. I think...
Yeah. You did it again. You did it again. How did he do it again? I don't know. I think he's still going. Well, he is, but he's mumbling clearly now. Now you're clearly mumbling. Clearly mumbling. His eyes are rolling back in his head. That's so weird. That was the strangest thing. Look at his face. Ashley, you're nothing like the girl that this guy is. I know, but I'm on the show. No, because you're... Wow. You're going to go there. What did I do? I didn't do it. It was somebody. We don't have a freaking studio audience, bro. It is. There is. P1 Holiday is on the line. Holiday, go ahead. Holiday, are you there? This isn't Holiday. I didn't talk to a screener. Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, Rob. P1 Holiday. P1 Holiday. My fault. My fault. P1 Holiday, are you there? Yes, I'm here, Michael. Go ahead. Hey, I was wondering that maybe it's something that she does. Maybe it's like she's into fashion or something, like she's a fashion designer or, you know. Ah, the devil wears grata. That's what you're saying. You didn't say that at all. She was totally. You never said that one time. She was saying that. I didn't say this.
I heard her. That is her job? She said she's Anne Hathaway. I heard her. Holiday, I think you make a great point, but Ashley didn't say anything like that. I think same. Holiday. Wait. Oh, you're so stupid. Holiday. Yeah. Yeah. As a fellow gay man. Thank you. Thank you, P1 Holiday. Thank you. What if she's crazy? Didn't anybody think of that? Yes. I thought of that. It's called... Fashion. It is. It is. I can't believe that you didn't call me. Why are you doing that? It's called... Fashion. It's called... Versatility. I don't know who I want to be. I'm confused. It's called schizophrenia. That's still not true. Why are you doing that, Sean? It's not schizophrenia, but it is weird. Sean, why are you playing the sound effects of Eddie's old stalker? It's not necessary.
here nor there, Sean. Yeah, she would do that. She was crazy. Yeah, she would probably do it. Eddie, on your second date, what did she wear on your guys' Oh, he didn't like that question, Mike. I don't know. You're just going after all of us today? Wow, that studio audience. I'm overweight. Alright, let's go to this. P1 Mel, are you there? Yes, I'm here. Go ahead. What did you want to say? I think it's a red flag. I think that she has like a lack of identity. Yeah, duh. I think so too. And, like, pretty soon you're going to take her out of bed. That's what I can say. You guys, that's what I said. That's my point, though, the whole time. Oh, my gosh. Fashion. It's called she has a lot of looks. It's called she has a job. Like, one job is a mortician. The other job is she's a cowboy. The other job is that she has to be someone's neighbor. I mean, I said that. The whole time. Her job is neighbor. Let's see. P1, Ryan is on the line. Ryan, go ahead.
hey how's it going mikey you guys are awesome thank you bro hey i just wanted to let that guy know that it's really hard to find a girl who changes style a lot and he should be happy about that because some girls stick to the same thing and it's so boring. Dude, think about the mindset behind it, though. Like, yeah, it's interesting to see the different looks, but think about a girl that's goth one day and, like, you know... An astronaut. Yeah, that is not a... Yeah, dude. It comes in a big NASA suit. I don't know about that. It's weird. Looks like the MTV astronaut. Like, dude, that's not what you want because... What if you're attracted specifically to one look and then you never get to see that look again? Well, yeah, it's probably the one you asked... Out. That's a good point. You know what I mean? Right. So you were attracted to her. Ashley, why are you fighting? I'm not fighting. It's just... I disagree. I heartedly disagree. Thank you, Doug. Thank you for the call, Doug. With you, Michael. Okay, let's get on the same page. That's all I'm saying. How do I get on the same page with Ashley? So what Ashley is trying to say is that... Listen, Mike.
This is not indicative of a confused person. This is simply a girl who, A, has a job that requires her to be goth one day. No. That's not what I'm saying at all. You're so off. And to be a cowgirl the next. That's my first point. Don't put sentences in my mouth. The second point is, she is simply a fan of fashion. She's simply a fan of fashion. And, Mike, as you know, goth is in right now. No, that's not even what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that you're... Scott, why don't you explain it? She's your girl. Why don't you explain what Ashley says? Well, why don't you let her explain? That's only because you don't know what she's saying. She's crying to you and you're not letting her get a word in and why the girl speaks. It's a freaking dress and leggings. Go ahead, Ashley. You're being so like, oh, get rid of her, crazy girl. What a unit. not normal when me years now directly across from you has been a girl who has a million different looks tons of versatility one day I'll come in in a sweatshirt one day I'll come in dressed up one day I'll come in dressed in gangsta my hip hop you know sometimes I'll dress 80s like whatever it's just a freaking dress and leggings it's just fashion it's style it's season when have you ever come in here
I'm coming with my hair curly and headband-free, wavy. And sometimes you walk in and you look like Dracula. Is that what you're telling me? This guy went out with Dracula the second time. You're sitting there trying to talk me into that? So dramatic. You're so dramatic. That's the thing. It is wonderful to be here at Gordon Bish. Let me shave you. Let me take the garlic bread. And I will take the calamari. Don't get the garlic. Ashley. What? Eddie, what is she talking about? Whatever. She's talking about dressing leggings. Thank you. Mike was here. The Mikey show continues. Mike is a f***ing rock 105.3. Library before the test. What a great idea. And breakfast. Breakfast? Yeah, I wish. Wait, what's that? A mixed killer burrito from McDonald's. It's a Mikey show. It is 940. Britney Spears stole a cigarette lighter from a Chevron gas station, then joked with the paparazzi about it. Well, Padre fans, this is interesting. Milton Bradley signs a one-year deal with, not us, the Rangers. Really? Yeah. Last week it was reported that he was literally seconds away from signing with the Padres. Guess not. Just kidding. Gotcha. I don't want him anyway. No kind of hitting going on in yesterday's Charger game, right? It's just a very basic game where... Finesse. Yeah, finesse game. Real finesse game. It was a slobber knocker, Mike. A slobber knocker. It was the opposite of an easy game. It was pretty physical. And the Chargers came out of nowhere, tied the game up, went into overtime, and then this. Cut 78. Hand off, LT, stiff arm, heading left. How about that? Now, the brutal part of it is Sean Merriman got hurt, got hit to the knee. Eddie had heard that it may have been a cheap shot. Yeah, I had heard that the head coach, Jeff Fisher, may have ordered the hit. As you know, Sean is a contributor on the Mikey Show every morning, every Monday morning at 7 o'clock. And Sean...
And his explanation of what happened has made national news from his interview this morning on the Mikey show from ESPN moments ago. Oh, there is a certain NFL coach with the Tennessee Titans that might have the answers to the lead because of the comments made by Sean Merriman. Of course, Sean Merriman had to leave yesterday's game. Yes, with a knee injury. And he's saying now that he may have been a target of a probably bounty. Here's what Sean Merriman had to say earlier today. Now they said that was because that you allegedly cheap-shotted Vince Young when it was clear that he just ran into you, Sean. Now they said that it was the head coach, Jeff Fisher, that ordered this hit on you. Do you know about any of this stuff? Yeah, as from what I heard, I heard he did. He told several of his players, and you can kind of tell that he did that from the crackback, the very next play or the very next two plays that will happen. You can tell that it was designed for them to start going after me. I offered her that he went up and down the whole entire sideline saying, make sure I get out, make sure, you know, get me out the game. Regardless of what happens, you know, it'll be dealt with. Those are very serious allegations right there. Of course, the NFL does not think kindly of bounties of any kind, whether it's money or not, or trying to hurt anybody at all. Your reaction to what Sean Merriman had to say? Well, you know what, when you're in a football game, and we know it's a physical game,
I'm not sure if that hit on Vince Young was malicious. It looked like a situation where you're playing football and you have an opportunity to make sure the guy doesn't have the ball. It's Vince Young, so you're going to check him. I don't believe that the head coach of the Tennessee Titans would demand that his team hurt Sean Merriman. Of course, the crackback block, that's a perfectly legal block, and he put him on the ground just like he's supposed to. So, again, I don't think either hit. It was malicious intent on hurting someone, but you've got to be able to defend your quarterback, and that's the way they saw fit. It seemed to me that's where you had Jeff Fisher going up and down the sideline. Again, not necessarily bounty-wise, but like, oh, he took out our guy. Trying to fire up your team. There's two 7-5 teams. Playoffs are on the line. You're trying to say, hey, listen, you know what? They're going to be physical. We got to answer back. I think they want to, you know, set a message. Well, let's send a message back to them saying we're not going to back down. That's where you saw the crackback block. To me, when I saw Vince Young bootleg out, yeah, it didn't seem like he saw Sean Maron try to lower the boom on him. It just, yeah, he looked like he ran into him and that was it. But, again, when it's a physical game and teams start getting after it, the coach, Jeff Fisher, in this particular case, wanted to make a point and be like, look.
Let's be physical. I don't know. And you know who Sean should talk to? First is that cornerback. Because any time, now, if I didn't call a crack and Seth got cracked back, I come to the huddle, I get a mouthful. Sean needs to go to that corner and say, you know what, man? When the receiver's coming down, you got to yell, crack, crack, crack, watch out. Come on, man, it's just football. You got to yell the crack out for your guy. I would have called crack. I would have yelled it out for you. So that was ESPN moments ago. You heard Eddie ask the question to Sean. Sean was extremely candid saying, yeah, that's what I heard. I heard Jeff Fisher was going up and down the sidelines saying, get him. This is not going to be the end of this. Now that it's national news, it'll be probably looked at by the league. And I'm sure that there's going to be a lot of speculation, a lot of talk about this. You can't do it, man. I mean, it's just one of those deals and you can't do it. And he is a, you know. He's one of the premier, if not the premier linebacker in the league. You can't take somebody out like that. And Sean was telling us also that they're going to do the test today. We don't know what's wrong with his knee. We don't know yet. So we'll find out. Eddie, do you know who's playing tonight?
It's going to be probably one of the greatest games in NFL history. Who is it? I know you guys are going to want to really make sure you're home for this. What is it? New Orleans taking on Atlanta. Oh, wow. I mean, it is a burn burner. Yeah, I know a lot of people are probably getting out of work early to try to get home, beat the traffic to be able to. Root on the Falcons. Yeah, you should ask your boss to let you out more early. Is there any way I can make it home to see the Falcon Saint game? They'll understand. This is a news story from KDVR in Denver. And it's about a city council member who resigned after posting an offensive joke on the internet. Cut seven. A graphic and racist email published on a local website cost a city councilwoman her job. The story makes fun of blacks, homosexuals, Jews, the disabled. And Democrats. The councilwoman resigned after the mayor asked her to take the posting down. It happened in the city of Decono in Southern Weld County. In a two-stop light town, news travels fast. From the gas pumps... I thought it was ridiculous. ...to the mayor's office. I was flabbergasted. Then, city councilwoman Sandra Tucker published the story on Tritown.com under the heading Too Funny Not to Share. The page-long joke talks about, and I quote...
truly a fate worse than death, and is about a man who wakes up to realize he is a black, disabled, one-armed, drug-addicted, Jewish queer, on a pacemaker, who is HIV-positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, lives in a slum, and has a Mexican boyfriend. But please, it says, don't tell me I'm a Democrat. In this day and age, when everybody was so picky about what they are and what somebody said about being called a Democrat to be the worst thing you're called, I think that's hilarious. That was the actual woman right there defending herself? That was her, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Let me go back a little bit. Yes, let me hear her defend it. One more thing. Wow. I'm a Democrat. In this day and age, when everybody is so picky about what they are and what somebody says about it, being called a Democrat can be the worst thing you're called. I think that's hilarious. Yes, you know what else is hilarious? AIDS, being disabled, being Mexican, being black, being a Jew. Like, hey, because just so you understand, city councilwoman, just so you understand, we all know how horrible those things are. Those are bad things. Oh, like we know how awful being a black Jew would be. Oh, my gosh. Imagine being a Mexican. Oh, no. Barf. Exactly. But I'll tell you what's worse, being a Democrat.
On pause. The mayor worried that such a posting would smear the town's name. He asked her to take it down. She refused. So he asked the blog to remove the posting, drawing mixed reviews, including a nomination for president and accusations of censorship. My hope would have been that she would have taken it off when I asked her to. But is that really your place to ask her to as mayor? She's another elected official. Yes, it is. In my opinion, I had every right to do that as the mayor of Decono. I am the spokesman for the city. Tucker resigned rather than take down her posting in a two-stop light town. Some things, she says, are worth fighting for. Okay. Oh, my gosh. I've got to get to this Sky thing here in a second. I want to tell you what happened with Sky over the weekend with her husband. But I told you I was going to play this. I've got to play this, too. Major League Baseball pitcher Mark Lytle took a... Baseball to the groin to show how effective the Nutty Buddy is. It's a device that covers your testicles. In case you happen to be hit in the groin by a baseball, this will protect them. So this is like a Saturday Night Live thing? No, no, no. This is a real deal. No, it's a real thing, the Nutty Buddy. Cut six. Hi, I'm Mark Littell.
I've been in the game a long time, ever since I was 18 years old. I think I'm over 50-something right now. But anyway, we're going to test the nutty buddy today and see if things really as mean and tough as we think it is. I'm one mean, tough guy, but I think this is tougher. And I'm not going to show you that I've got real cojones, but everything's for real. Okay, I'm not a transvestite. Here we go, Ramrod. Yeah, let's go. Yeah! Yeah! Yes, sir, folks. The Nutty Buddy, it really works. It's mean, it's tough, and it's right there for you every time. What do you think, Eddie? Thursday, Friday for B-Rob and the Nutty Buddy? Can we do it tomorrow? Yeah, I mean, if we can get it by tomorrow, let's do it tomorrow. But I was thinking, you know, if we had to, you know, give it some time to organize and get the Nutty Buddy in. I'm thinking as quickly as possible. Why is Rob's face expressionless right now? Like, there's not one, I don't know how excited I am. There's like no expression on his face at all.
A mini mini. Yeah, we got to do the Nutty Buddy for sure. For sure. So Skye, over the weekend, was explaining to her husband how she has never had a Big Mac nor a Whopper. Wow. Yeah, well, there's that new Whopper commercial running right now. about how like it shows like it's a hidden camera and people go in and then they try and order their Whopper and they're told that they don't make the Whopper anymore and they get all upset and whatever. So we see that commercial and I go and I say to my husband, yeah, I'm out on eating a square hamburger. And he just like looks at me with this look of disgust. Isn't that Wendy's? Yeah, that's Wendy's. Yeah. And so he goes, I don't understand. Well, See, because I didn't come out and say, oh, I've never had a Whopper. Right, but Whoppers are not square and neither are Big Macs. But by me believing that the Whopper is square, my husband goes, wait, have you never had a Whopper? Because I'm thinking it's the Wendy's burger. And I'm like, yeah.
And he goes, but you've had the Big Mac, right? And I'm like, no. And he didn't seem like he wanted to talk to me. How did you never have a Big Mac before? Rebecca had not either. Rebecca tried a Big Mac for the first time in her life about four months ago. And what did she think? She thought it was delicious. You know why? Really? That Thousand Island dressing. Because it is so good. That's secret sauce. Secret sauce. It is not Thousand Island. It sure tastes like Thousand Island. Well, it may, but it's not. It's the secret sauce, Mike. It's the secret sauce. It's the secret. Don't speak of it. But Thousand Island is like ketchup and mayonnaise with pickles in it. And it's not that. But it tastes like that. It may taste like it. So he was finding it hard to believe how someone could be 30 years old and not have. Did you say you didn't either, Ashley? You've never had a Big Mac? Or a Whopper. That's impossible. Whatever. It's because as women, they're too dainty to order something like that. So they get like the chicken sandwich or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or they'll get like... You know, a girl will get like a hamburger. I would get the kid's meal. Or a cheeseburger. Yes, I'll take a cheeseburger, a small fry. Well, I'd give the toy to like, you know, a kid I'm babysitting or someone. That's right. Rebecca just instant messaged me. She's never had a Whopper either.
And I've never had a burger from Wendy's, any sort of burger. Yeah, me neither. Because it's square, and I'm not a fan of square burgers. But it tastes the same. It's in a square. Eddie, she doesn't actually know that she doesn't like square burgers. She's never had one. Very true. So you won't eat something because of its shape? It's not necessary for it to be square. It's so bizarre. Rebecca just IM me. I won't eat something called... Whopper. Oh, my God. She put it in. It's a hamburger. She put it in quotes. The Big Mac, I can maybe understand because it tastes different because of the secret sauce. Yeah. But a Whopper is a burger. It's a burger. It's a straight up burger. It doesn't taste like anything but a burger. It's impossible. Never have, never will. Why? For me, it was. I mean, this was back when I was like. 10 years old, and I found out that a Whopper and a Big Mac have like 60 to 80 grams of fat in one burger. And that was it. I will never. I'll never. Plus the fries. You're going to tomorrow. Do you know I've ordered a small fry that has like 25 grams of fat? Never ordered fries like in a combo meal. I can avoid it. You don't get fries? If I can avoid it. I don't eat fast food. Well, you can avoid it every time. I don't eat fast food. No, Mike. The truth is... Mike.
Sometimes I cannot avoid it. Do you understand? That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is sometimes I go and the man puts the fries and he says... I'm talking about at restaurants. You better eat that. I've been captured by gorillas before, Mike. You're talking about at restaurants. They've had machetes to my throat and then I've had to eat the fries. And then you can substitute out cottage cheese or fruit. What's the point of eating at McDonald's at that point? No, that's what I'm saying at restaurants. I don't eat fast food, period, anymore. I avoid fries. Skye, what's happening in your head right now? You want that Big Mac now, don't you? I'm just helping people leave me alone. Eat the Big Mac. It's delicious. What was going on in your head? I don't want any part of it. Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onion, on a sesame seed bun. Sounds like too much. You deserve a break today. I'm glad to hear there's no much tomorrow. Wait, did you say cheese? You deserve a break tomorrow. P1 Scott. Scott, go ahead. Good morning, you guys. I've been listening to you guys for a long time, and I love the show, but there's come a time where I'll call in and voice my opinion. Scott, you are a communist. Why just me? We've just named a handful of girls.
or a Whopper or at Wendy's. I mean, there's one every 500 feet in America. Why is he yelling at you? I don't know why this is making him so upset. Why does he even care? You know what? You might as well wipe your butt with the flag. Seriously. Eddie. You're basically burning it. No, I'm not. Basically, you guys. Come on. Basically. More for you guys. Skye just said she hates the military. I've never said that. He does not. She hates freedom. She hates the troops. She hates freedom. I do not hate freedom. She hates. I'm not even saying I hate the Whopper and the Big Mac. I'm just saying I've never had it. Where she's fat, she hates. Yeah, I don't care to try it, and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. You are, though. If I want a burger with Thousand Island, I'll go to In-N-Out. Over $5 billion served. Well, cool. More for them. That's kind of what Rebecca said. Rebecca goes. Because I can get a normal-sized burger. Not a giganto two patty extra cheese. It's not big. It's not giant. Then why is it called a Whopper? And why are there two patties? She's talking about the Big Mac. I don't need two patties. Then why is it called the Big Mac? Because the gigantic Mac was already taken. See? Or the average Mac. Because the average Mac didn't have the same impact. Doesn't sound quite as cool. The totally normal sized Mac didn't really have the same ring to it.
What are you, Jared? Come on. I just don't know why people are getting all worked up. Eat a Big Mac. That's cool, man. What are you, Jared? What's better, Big Mac or Whopper? Ooh. Big Mac by far. By far. Yeah. Really? It's not even, dude, it's not even a, if a Whopper, a Whopper's what you make at your house. I don't know. No, Whopper's okay. I mean, I don't dislike a Whopper. But I'll take a Big Mac any day of the week. Do you disagree, Sean? A Whopper's what you make at your house. Whoa. I mean, you know, it's a tough call for me. Yeah, I can't make no Big Mac at my house. I can make a Whopper. You cannot make a Big Mac. Well, yeah, you just put some Thousand Island on it. See, you are so wrong. You are so wrong. And there's a thing. You know, I'm trying to not be a fatty right now, so I don't eat the fast food. I'm trying to eat healthy. But when I used to be a Big Mac eater, you know, five minutes ago, you have to squish the Big Mac because it's too big. You're a walking contradiction. Right? Hypocrite. It's too high. It's too high. It's not too big. It's too high. It's not too big. It's too high.
It's so big that you can't fit it in your mouth. It's too high. You have to squish it. It's too high. But it's a normal burger. Okay. You ruined that. Okay. I will never get that. I'm going to turn the mics off. Oh, no. This is good. Wow. That's weak. What did you say? Unbelievable. I'm so mad right now. I want to know so bad because I was trying to read your lips. I can't say it. You look pissed. Oh, my gosh. I can't say it on the air because it'll make it worse. Yeah. I can say it once it's taken care of. Yeah. We'll get it taken care of ASAP. Holy cow. That really bothers me. I can't imagine. That's brutal. Oh, man. Sky, are you... What are you doing? I am Ashley. She wants to know what it is. And can you have her reach out to whoever and tell them to take care of that, please? Give me the goods. I got it, Mike. I'm talking a nerd. What the CD, huh? Let's talk about that. You heard it, right, Sean? Yeah.
As soon as it's taken care of, I can tell everybody. Yeah, just give it a couple minutes. It'll get taken care of. Can you let me know when that's done, Zeth? Yeah. And who did that, too? Like, who did that? Good question. That would be an interesting thing to me, of who did that. That is a far-out question. That's so violating, man. Totally. The Best of CD is called... Yeah, talk about it. Oh, boy. What's that? What's it about, Mike? What's it called? It's called Furry Up. Oh, that is original. Why? Why is it called that? I'm confused. I'll tell you what they're going to say. They're going to say, I've said it on the air. Maybe I have. Maybe I have. No. Here's the deal. I don't post it anywhere. You know what I mean? Sky, are you saying, no, it serves you right?
No, not at all. No, I'm just saying that, yeah, there was one time you said it on NR. And I was, because I remember going, whoa. Oh, there was? Hey, guy. And the only reason I'm saying that is because one time Spaceboy said that. And I was like, really? And he knows all. And I know, yeah. He knows better than us. If Spaceboy told me I was an age I'm not, I'd be like, I didn't, oh, I guess I am. I believe him. He listens to the show more than I do. So, it's just, you know. You guys know my deal. So that CD, huh? What CD? For the best of one. It's all going to charity. The one you could pre-order? Yeah. That one? Where does all the money go to? Oh, that got me out of it. Who does the benefit? Lymphomas. Shut up, buddy. Goes to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our best of CD. The CD's only $9.99. Awesome. That's a screaming deal. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Even Sky would buy that. Yeah. Because it's a screaming deal. And I'd buy it and then I'd scream.
I got a deal. What? What kind of stuff you got on that CD? Yeah, what do we got? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Where's the track listing? Give it to me. Give it to me. Give me the track listing. Who's got it? Oh, look at this. You got Dr. Phil's on there. Love him. What else? What else you got? That's it? Send him the link. Send him the CD link. Oh, boy. Well, it was garbage. I blame Rob. Well, who doesn't? What? He's getting back at you. It's his master plan. There you go, Rob. What do we got? Tough love it is. Tough love. No. It's just, you know. What? It's taken care of. Thank you. Because my personal email was on P1 site. Fertile. Which I know has been mentioned before.
But the problem is that I was like, what is going on lately? Because I'll be at home and I'll be getting these emails and I'll be getting these just this weekend. Oh, it just started? Yeah, like emails and IMs. And I'm like, where are these coming from? And I'm not a jerk to anybody when it happens, but as it is on that email, just from work people and just stuff, I'm bombarded already. And during the show, right now, I got an IM up from Zeth, Sean, Eddie, Ashley, and Rob. Sky doesn't need to IM me very often, but sometimes you'll be up there too. Right. And I've already clicked off of IMs from Shauna, my wife. Right. You know, and so it gets to be a little overwhelming. So, hey, listen, I know the person that put it on there absolutely meant no harm. Didn't mean any harm by it. It wasn't like the person was like, ooh, I'm going to get him or whatever. Like you said, like I said it once. But, no, it's, that was my reaction to it of like, come on, don't do that, please.
I'm sorry I shouldn't have posted your cell phone. I'm sorry. I was just thinking that, too. It's not like your home number or something, but it's my private, personal Conebone 68. Wait. I didn't realize that was you. Now it's out there for everyone. Great. Hey, Mikey, I can't believe Skye hasn't eaten a Big Mac or a Whopper. I know she doesn't like many foods, but I didn't know she hates America as well. Oh my gosh, people. Let it go. True. Hey, Skye, butch up and... Butch up, yeah. And barodden your horizons. That's what I'm going for. I want to barodden things. Quit being a huge baby and try some new foods with love and friendship. Mikey's wife with Craig Gass typing. That was weird. That's P1 Daniel. Interesting. Craig, I think, may be the worst. Yes. I mean, my wife is picky. Go pick on him. My wife is picky. Sky is picky. I don't think anybody's as picky as Craig asked. See, I don't have a problem with Craig, though. Why? Because I think it's because with Craig, it's a very mental thing from his childhood where his parents just didn't ever feed him anything but what he wanted. So it's not really his fault.
With you, you just refuse to try things. Yeah, with me. And it infuriates me. Yeah, because I think that you could, with some coaxing, get Craig to eat something. Yeah, he's just got this mental block, but once he gets past it, he tries things. Yeah. But with Skye, no, you do not. No, you don't. You're just stubborn. You are stubborn. From my childhood. Sure. How come you want, Skye? Why won't you eat new things? It's garbage! Because, you know, listen, if you don't... Oh, let it go. Remember what happened on the email and the site? Oh, that's terrible. Nice, nice. I just got off of it for crying out loud. You are the worst. Me, me, me, me, me, me. Bad person. Me. Don't let her get to you. Can't believe that. Dang it. Somebody at the poker game this weekend goes, that was my neighbor. He goes, dude, I love your show. He goes, sometimes it sounds like you guys are really irritating each other. We're good. We're that good. He goes, it sounds like really real. Really? Acting. Good actors.
Yeah, I said, you know, hey, listen, it's just show business, you know? Yeah, that's how we roll, man. When you're in show business, you learn how to... Yeah, you get it. ...how to pretend to give somebody a jackass plant. I tell you what, this writer's strike's killing us. I know it. We haven't been able to have a good argument for such a long time. I would like to welcome you to the prestigious school of Academi and Thespian Art. Ladies and gentlemen... The Mikey Show. We are here with 4-9. Famous Films Scott. Tell me what it was like to work with Gary Schoenberg. What was that partnership like? I'm not doing this, man. I know you'll like him. I love him. That doesn't apply. This isn't how this... Come on. This is not how it goes. In the year... 2003 of our Lord, you are rejoined with the Mikey Show once again. This time, a S-J-O. We're referred to as Captain Killjoy in the Boone Downs. This is really getting weird. Remember that email, Mike? Remember? You were so upset. Remember? Okay, you can stop clapping, Mike. Okay, okay. Thanks. Thanks a lot. Eddie.
Well, that's a good question, Mr. Lipton. It's a process on a daily basis. Can you explain to us how it is that she came to be known as free lunch? Give me a break, please. We have like a million things to do right now. I'd be happy to, James. Basically what would happen is the show, after we would get off the air... We'd all go out to lunch on a daily basis, James. My word. Daily basis. And either Sean or Mikey or myself would pick up the tab every single day. Good grief. Every day, James. And Skye would never offer. She'd take the free lunch and would never offer and would eat the food. Each day. Every single day. Not true. And it finally became clear that that's all she liked is coming out with us to enjoy the free lunch. Daily. Every single day, James. Not true. Incredible. It really was. Good work, Sky. Thank you. P1 Turd Ferguson is on the line. And Turd, what's going on? I got a legitimate question. I was wondering if we could do normal foods with Sky this week and do like a Big Mac or a Whopper or something. Oh, yeah. A girl eating normal food sounds compelling.
I think it is. It actually kind of is. It kind of is. It really is. Why? If you're a 30-year-old woman who's never had normal food. Leave me. Yes, I've had normal food. Skye, what is the deal? Get out of my kitchen. Listen, I'm not attacking. I just want to ask. You are. You're pressuring. You're attacking. I'm not biting you. I'm asking. What? Well, the worst that can happen is you go, eh, I don't really like that that much. Not my thing. Not my thing. No, thank you. No, thank you. Can I say no thank you before I try it? You could. You may love it. My question is, why not? I do love it. Why not try? Five million people. Come on. Billion. I'm sorry. Billion. Have eaten at McDonald's. And they love the Big Mac. Not all five billion of them. You know a fifth of them have tried the Big Mac. At least a billion people have eaten that thing. That's not enough, Mike. They're still working out the things. It can't be wrong.
Sky, the best that can happen is you find something you really like. The worst that can happen is you go, I don't really care for that. And it ruins my day. It will not ruin your day. Come on now. It'll ruin my week. It'll ruin my week. Fine, I'm a drama queen. I'm a drama mama. I'm going to go check myself into the ER right now. There it is. Leave me alone. You just said it'll ruin your day, which was very dramatic. I'm feeling good, man. Very dramatic. Yeah. I'm feeling fresh, I'm feeling sexy, and I'm feeling honey baked. And a one, and a two, and a one, two, three, and I can dance. I am Skye. I like interpretive jive. Look at me. Can't you see? I am the drama queen. I'm not apologizing for my behavior because I was really sick. I was throwing up here. I went home. I was throwing up at home. Early morning, I'm on the show. Mispronouncing and in the flow.
Man, I wish we played music and I didn't have to be having to read and speak. I had just been conversating. It's conversing. The guys are making me want to cry. Life was better when I was high. I don't know how I do it every single day. I really earn my pay. And if you didn't know, Oh, come on now. I am the dramatist Jolly Sheep. After we're getting out of here, I got my cramps. It's that time of the month. By the way, I'm really sunburnt. I think I need to call Mother. Hello, Mother. It's me again. Yes, again. Yes, it's me. Will you come get me? I have a sunburn. No, of course I'm being serious. And you can take me to your place and we'll look for a water bottle. We'll put urine in it and it'll cure me. But call Kaiser first. Make sure that they're aware of this. Ramsey.
Get those blades moving. Come on, don't be so slow. Oh my goodness, I feel a headache coming on. I'm starting to hyperventilate. I'm really spying. Yeah, I'm swallowing poo. Mikey, Ashley and Skye need to suck it up and start eating Big Mac signed Nicole Richie. That's right. Oh, wow. P1 Photoshop. It's P1 Photoshop. Let's see. What are the big stories we're missing today? Skye, what strikes your fancy? Do we have any lists? Yeah, there's that AOL TV. Sexiest woman ever? Sexiest woman on TV ever. Who's the chick that played Hot Lips on MASH? Whoa. Ever. Ever. I don't think so, but you know that she was like sexist. Loretta Swit. Loretta. Loretta Swit. What's the name like that? Yeah, instead of, you mean the stage names we're giving? What do you mean the real names? Like Jennifer Aniston? No, that's her name on Friends. Oh. You know, the character Jennifer. She lived right next door. Well, I was because you were trying to come up with the name for this cat woman. And I'm saying you will know these names. Sorry.
I'm helping you, jerky. You're the jerky. Remember Joey became roommates with Matthew? Matthew Perry. Please. Women. TV's sexiest women ever. Sorry. Oprah. Tie on the eye of the beholder. But it's not on the list, so it doesn't go on the board. Suzanne Summers from Step by Step. No. Suzanne Summers from Step by Step. Not Three's Company? She matured by Step by Step. Scott Bale from Charles in Charge.
The chick who played Blossom. Oh, you are a... What? I mean... Yeah. Blossom. Hottest chick ever. Disgusting. Why was Joey always going... That was... I got you. That was in my face. Thank you. Is that who he would say? He would say that about her? No. That was his sister. That was so dumb, Ashley. Whatever. I'm so dumb. You didn't even know the reference. I did. I don't watch that show. I know it's on ABC's Thursday nights at 8, but I don't watch it anymore. Nell Carter. P1 Alex. Is George Takai on the list? No, here we go. Every time. No. Uhura. TV Sexiest Women. Uhura. No. From Will and Grace. Anybody? From Will and Grace. What about Sandra Oh?
Good guess, George. Is Sandra Oh on the list? No, she is not, George. Is that who you're into? Well, I'll now go into a bit where I only name Asian actresses on TV. Okay, keep going. And after Sandra Oh, no one left. Well, it's weird. Are we talking current? Sad state of affairs. Okay, George. When you can't think of any... Look at how racist. Well... the Hollywood machine is. Right. Is that you don't have any Asian actresses on television. Okay. Heather Locklear. Yes. Oh, I got one. Heather Locklear from TJ Hooker is number four. Yeah. Jenny Garth from 90210. No. What is she emphasizing? The Pink Power Ranger. 90210. Asian. What? Mike. I mean George Takei. Don't you mean George Takei? That's what I meant. I was looking at Mike. Killer, are you there? Go ahead. Say it. Linda Carter. Oh, yeah. Linda Carter. Linda Carter, Wonder Woman, is number three on the list. And Angie Dickinson. Angie Dickinson. Did you hear Catherine Bach from Daisy Dukes of Hazzard? Angie Dickinson, Scott. Did you hear that? No.
Pamela Anderson, Baywatch. Pamela Anderson is number one on the list. That's the worst. Ashley's killing it. That's the worst. I got one. Ashley is the best. Yes. Thank you, Scott. You don't have to throw things at me. Donna from 90210. So you're missing number two. Hillary Clinton, CNN. Saved by the bell. Yeah, Tiffany Amber Thiessen. Yeah, Tiffany Thiessen. From Saved by the Bell. See if Tiffany Thiessen's on there. Stop doing that. Doing what? You know what you're doing. Yeah, see if Tiffany Thiessen from Saved the Bell From Me is on there. So you're missing number two, number five. Once a former. Sean's mom. Oh, wow. He's not here anymore. That came from Westfield. That's no fun. He's not even here. That's why he did it. Because I was afraid he'd kick my butt. Uh-uh. Have you seen the guy? Okay. Mikey Show. Okay, what? I was going to give a 10. You didn't ask for one. Well, I was going to give you one anyway. Shut up. Gosh. Shut up. You shut up. Is Vera from Alice on there? Yeah, is Vera on there? Great guess. What about Vera? Yeah, yeah. What about, what was her? Stanky. What the hell? I don't know. What was her name? Flo. Who played Flo? Stanky. Stanky? What?
I thought that was the character's name. I think it was. Originally. It was originally the pilot. First season it was Stanky and then they changed her name to Flo. Excuse me, Flo? Mikey Show. We have the two remaining. One is currently still on television. The other one a little more old stuff. Oh, wait. Carrie Hatcher. Why did he say it with an R? Everyone from New York say that. You're getting close there, Rizzy. Angela! So stupid. Someone has the right show. You have the right show. Oh, yeah. It was the one that played Mona on Who's the Boss. Sarah Michelle Gellar. Oh, Fluffy the Vampire Slayer. Well, that's the same show. Well, no. Whoever. It was. Somebody said. Jennifer Love Hewitt. No. We are getting off the show. Wrong show. Bea Arthur. Wrong show. So you guys are just missing number two. Did we say hot lips yet? Yeah. Let's see. Check hot lips. Yeah, I checked it. Julia Louis Dreisvis. So weird. Who played Natalie on Facts of Life? Oh, great one. Love that show. You take the good, you take the bad, you take it both, and then you have the facts alive. The facts alive are when the world never seems. Get it. To be living up to your dreams when the whole world is shining through. Get it. I forget that. Oh, wow. Good job. You were more of a Joe guy than you were Blair or Natalie. I went to my tootie face.
