Mikey turned a cat-urine problem at home into a long argument with Rebecca and the crew over whether cleaning, new flooring, or removing the cats was the real solution. Mike Huckabee's comments about Mormonism and his Minutemen endorsement prompted a serious political discussion, while Eddie's harsh advice and callers' antique computers supplied lighter arguments. Boston Rob gagged through live baby octopus, and the show replayed the escalating feud between Terrell Owens and Keyshawn Johnson over Bill Parcells. The crew also reacted to Hannah Montana's enormous merchandise business, challenged Charger Girl Chantel on NFL picks, fought over the best female vocalist, and absorbed rumored star names from the Mitchell Report.
What happened, in order
The Cat-Pee Crisis
Mikey described finding cat urine outside the litter boxes, while Rebecca resisted giving up the cats and the crew argued over cleaning, tile, plastic sheeting, and eviction.
Huckabee, Romney, and Religion
Mikey defended Mike Huckabee's apology to Mitt Romney over a Mormonism remark but objected to Huckabee welcoming the Minutemen Project's endorsement.
Tough Love with Eddie
Eddie answered listeners' workplace, relationship, and dandruff problems with deliberately brutal jokes while Mikey, Skye, and the others challenged his advice.
Ancient Computers Still Alive
Callers compared an Apple IIe, a $3,500 Packard Bell with a 1.08-gigabyte hard drive, an old IBM, and a daily-use Windows 95 Fujitsu laptop.
Boston Rob Eats Live Octopus
For Bizarre Foods, Boston Rob gagged through two bites of sannakji, the still-moving South Korean baby-octopus dish whose tentacles can cling to the mouth and throat.
T.O. Versus Keyshawn
The show played Terrell Owens mocking Keyshawn Johnson's career and Keyshawn replying that Owens needed an elementary explanation of his advice about Bill Parcells.
The Hannah Montana Money Shock
The crew guessed Hannah Montana merchandise sales in the millions and then erupted when Mikey revealed an estimate of $26 billion.
Eddie Takes On a Charger Girl
Charger Girl Chantel and Eddie made their NFL picks after his 15-1 week, disagreeing most notably on Miami-Baltimore, Arizona-New Orleans, and Tennessee-Kansas City.
The Best Female Voice Fight
Mikey, Boston Rob, Eddie, Skye, and Ashley argued over whether Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston, or Celine Dion had the greatest female voice.
Mitchell Report Bombshells
Eddie read rumored Mitchell Report names including Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Miguel Tejada, Chuck Knoblauch, and David Justice, and the crew reacted to the scale of the baseball scandal.

Halfway through December, pretty much. December 13th. Welcome to the program. It is 6.04. Ike Turner died yesterday at his San Marcos home. He was 76 years old. A couple of big baseball moves yesterday. The Astros trade five players for Baltimore's Miguel Tejada. And the San Francisco Giants signed free agent outfielder Aaron Rowan. Keep losing internet. Is there any internet people here? Yeah, I keep losing internet too. It's like happening to everybody. Ash, do you know if there's any IT people in the building right now? Or do they not get here until later? There should be someone getting here probably within the next half hour. So I will contact them. I remember when this building was shiny and new. It was brand new. State of the art. Beautiful. Never seen anything like it. Wow, that is stunning.
The Clear Channel building. It's what I imagined a big-time radio to look like. A glass building. You walk inside. There's a lobby. And doors that lead to... Behind those doors, there's DJs. That's cool. And right there at the front desk, behind the receptionist, there's big, giant logos of radio stations made out of glass. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That's just, that's exciting. Awesome. Right when you walk in the doors of the Clear Channel building to your right, there's a stairwell. You would walk in there and you would think, I bet you up there are the people in charge of making and breaking careers in radio. What would it be like to be in that lobby sitting on one of those couches waiting for one of those managers to come down and call your name?
to go upstairs and interview for a radio job. This place is amazing. Wow. And then the first time I went through the building, saw what they call Radio Row, KGB Radio, Channel 933, Rock 105.3, that radio station that plays girl music that's gone through four names, you know, the whole thing. And I thought, wow. And then we moved into the studios and we went, oh, it's the same. It's the same stuff from the clunker. Blunker. Welcome to the program. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37 years old. And today I have a shirt tucked in with a belt. Look at you. I've been able to do that in a long time. Check you out. Really long time. Looking good. Yeah. Only 450 more pounds to go. Stop.
Coming about 9.50 now. I'm trying to get it down to about 5.50. And it should be really good. Trying to get down to Baby Great White's weight, and I think that that will probably be perfect. We'll call it a day. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He is 34 years of age, and I've known Eddie since both of us were kids. We grew up in the same town on the same street, Gilroy. Eddie has an affection for it. I have a disdain for it. What? Eddie thinks of it as a nice hometown. I think of it as a toilet that smells like garlic. Whoa. Eddie has fond memories of city streets lined with maple trees. I have memories of a jacked-up city council with a weird first street. Oh. Good. Companies going out of business. But, you know, we see things differently. Well, I mean, I was born and raised there. So, you know, I had lemonade stands. I've had, you know, played baseball in the parks. I've had, you know, all my friends were there. Skye is our news girl. She's 30 years old. And she is a pretty Anglo girl. White. Thank you. She's white. It's true. Sean is our sound effects guy.
He's 37 years of age and he doesn't live here in San Diego. This is pathetic. He lives up north in San Francisco and we see him on a little camera. Ashley. There it is. There it is. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 24 years old. You notice whenever you introduce her, she stretches. That's right. I didn't notice it. Do I really? I didn't notice it. Every single morning. I didn't notice it, but it's true. That's so weird. Now that you make the observation, I realize, yeah, she does do that. I'm getting a good stretch right now going. Wow. She does it every day. Maybe it's like I'm gearing up. It's like once I get the intro, it's like I'm in full mode. There you go. Full mode. Well said. Good stretch. It's early. Boston Rob. Yo. He is our phone screener and Zeth's friend. I like that title. That's right.
That's what he does for a living. And he's good. He's good at it. He's good at both. Although today, he is going to be a food taster. Ah, delicious. What do we got going on? Every Thursday, we do a little something called Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. And later on in the show today, we will be taking a trip to South Korea. Do I have my South Korea music up here, Ashley? There we go. All right. Today we will be traveling far, far away. I want you to imagine right now in your mind, if you will, a helicopter flying over the ocean. High speeds. You see the ocean going by underneath you. I'm jumping here. Now, off in the distance, you see a foreign land. Oh, South Korea. Now that...
That camera angle changes to dirty, filthy city streets with no pavement. And vendors. Vendors selling their wares. Yes, I'll take two of those. Yes, that's right. Rob taking two of these. This should be interesting, and I'm glad it will be done outside. And finally, Zeth is the latest member of the Mikey Show. He is 22 years of age. He's real tall. And he's a handsome kid. He looks like a thug. He's got tattoos and looks can be deceiving. Don't judge a book by its cover. Especially this one. Yeah, because he's a sweet kid inside. I mean, he's not mean and he's not a thug. He's a sweetheart. He's a nice guy. Yes, sweet. Very sweet. Now what is that? What is that? You two, Ashley and Sean. What? I'm agreeing with you. Yeah. Totally agree. Sweet. Ash was a little put off yesterday in the office. Zeth didn't say excuse me. Walked in front of us. Wow. And it was only further confirmed by Boston Rob walking into the studio right after. It really was. And saying excuse me. Case in point.
Now, one thing that she's not pointing out is that when Rob came into the studio, he had a big box in his hand that he needed to put away, and if he hadn't said excuse me, he literally wouldn't have been able to pass in front of her. Her legs were in his way. Whatever. Whatever to all of that. I beg to differ. What about all those years of chivalry that I put out? I am a gentleman. Come on. You are. I do think that you're a gentleman. I do think that you're a gentleman. However... I think that Zeth is a gentleman, too. And, you know. Maybe he did say, excuse me, and no one could hear it. That could be true. Mumbled it. It could be true. No, that is not what happens. No? I don't know. It was really awesome. Personally, I thought he got the death penalty for shoplifting, but, you know. No. He usually does. No. No. I don't know. I mean. No. I didn't even say anything. I just gave a look. I support whatever candidate wants to do away with interns and intern-like behavior. Give more power to the people in charge. Stricter penalties for being tall and mumbling. Slouchy. Slouching. We have very strict slouching laws. Very, very strict excuse me laws. I want to pass the excuse me bill.
So anyway, lots of stuff going on. Did I have some stuff happening in my personal life yesterday? Well, you guys, let me tell you the story of what's going on in our house with the cats. Oh, you're finally getting rid of them. Yes! Nice one. What's happened? What's the matter? When did they go? When are they out? When's the farewell party? The big send-off. Boy and Viaggi. Need to get a little cat boat? Break a mini little bottle of champagne on it? Oh, man. Maybe break it on the cat itself. Okay, Sean. That's Sean at rock1053.com. There's all cards and letters to... Anyway. Anyway. In my office, I have a closet that is attached to my office. And the door has been removed to the closet. And that closet has become, in effect, the cat's bathroom. We have two litter boxes in there. And we have their food and their water. And my wife has kept it extraordinarily clean. She's even gone to Target and bought a rug that she cut herself.
Same size of the closet that goes in there in case there's an accident or whatever. And it comes about, I don't know, I'd say it, but it comes about two feet short of filling the entire space. So when you first walk into the closet, there's about two feet of carpet, and then you hit the rug that she made, okay? Well, on Monday morning, when I woke up and went into my office about 3.30 a.m., I smelled. the overpowering and unmistakable smell of cat urine, which is different than every other animal on planet Earth. Yeah, it's not good. It's really different. It really is. I don't know what they have going on in their bodies, but it's different. It's bad. Not good. It's evil. It's bad. Pungent. Yes, it is. And so I wrote Rebecca an email when I got to work, and I said, do me a favor.
When you wake up, go into the office and see if you notice the strong smell of cat urine because it may be a situation where I went in there right after they'd used it. And so she wrote me back and she said, no, it's normal, you know, whatever. I said, okay, thank goodness because I don't want to deal with it. So I got home and I was going upstairs and about halfway up the stairs. Cat urine smacked me in the face. No, it did not. Like, whoa. And as I made my way into my office, it's getting stronger and stronger. And by the time I get into my office, it smells like I'm a boxer, just got knocked out, an old mix trying to wake me up with some smelling salts. It was like full on ammonia. I mean, it was powerful. Oh, what the heck? And so I said, babe. You got to come in here. So she comes in and I said, can't you smell that overpowering urine? And she goes, no, I can. And I said, okay, well, we got to do something, right? So we're going to have carpet cleaners come and clean the office, clean the carpet, and they're going to do a deodorizing thing as well. And I said, man, the thing that really is that I can't figure out is where it is.
I don't know where they've done it. So I was on my hands and knees sniffing the carpet. Like a bloodhound. Awesome. If you can, picture a short chubby Mexican guy with a shaved head on the floor of his office carrying a little glass of coffee beans so I could cleanse the palate and then try again. Like a basset hound. Couldn't find it. Couldn't find it. Couldn't find it. She found it. She found it. It is in that two-foot space between entering the closet and where the carpet starts. They peed on the carpet, on the house carpet, right there before you step onto their carpet and go into their litter box. Why? Because, Eddie, they're evil, awful, evil creatures. Why would you let them live at your house?
That's a question you'll have to ask my lovely wife, whom I love. You're the man of the house. Get him out of there. Whom I'm in love with. You're the landlord. Evict him. So my poor angel last night, she says to me, she says, honey, I sympathize with this. I want to do everything we can, but I just want to tell you that I can't. And that's when her voice starts to shake. Oh, come on. Get rid of my kid. And I'm like, so the tears come. And I love her. Oh, here we go. I feel terrible for her. Come on. You're being manipulated. No, dude. Honestly. It really does. I mean, she's crying. She's not fake. She doesn't fake it. So I'm like, oh, boy. So I said, listen, honey, we're going to go to all the lengths that we can to solve this problem. But I have to be honest with you. I will not live that way. And there's this thing in my head from my childhood about my dad. He used to talk about how the smell of cat pee equaled white trash to him. Honestly, he did. He used to say that. Whenever he was referring to white trash, he used to go, house smells like cat pee. Used to be one of those things thrown in there. Along with a Chevy on the front lawn. You know? Yeah.
Like they went hand in hand. And so I have this like yank away from a hot stove when I smell the cat pee. Not only the natural stuff that we're given that makes you react that way, but also that thing that my dad used to put in my head. So I'm feeling like white trash having that smell in my house. So I told her, I said, I can't have it, the smell. And so if we can't get rid of it, the cats have to go. Wow. Yeah. And so we talked about it further and we're going to take many steps before we, we're going to take, not even before we, we won't even go to before we. We're going to take many steps to solve the problem. We're going to take the cats to a, you know, like a place when you go on vacation, like a kitty kennel. We're going to put them in a kitty kennel for a few days. And while they're gone, we're removing everything from their, closet. We're steam cleaning and deodorizing to try to take the smell away so they don't recognize it and go back and do it again. Because that's a part of it. They go to where they smell. Okay? So we're going to completely deodorize it. And then we're going to replace the mat that she had in there already. We're going to replace it again. We're going to move the mat all the way to the door so that there's no carpet space. And we're going to put the stuff back in with fresh stuff and air freshener and the whole thing. Okay.
there's a chance that one of those monsters will do it again. And if that happens, I offer it into legislation. Plan B. What's plan B? Plan B is I am willing to rip that carpet up before getting rid of any cats and replacing it with tile or wood paneling. Listen, I'm trying to go to any lengths. It's very nice of you. It sounds expensive. No, listen. Eddie. Eddie. We're on a good path here, man. You're saying the words that are just... Eddie. We're trying to be positive. I don't know. How much will that be? I honestly, I don't know what that would cost. Well, to rip the carpet out? And replace it with tile or wood paneling? Wood floors? Oh, that's, you know, probably what Sky liked maybe... Sky knows. You know, Sky.
Somewhere around $2,000. Why do you have a giant smile on your face? Well, it just, I mean, it all depends on who you get to do the work. I just don't want to pay more than like, you know, $100. Oh, yeah, good luck. Yeah, and I would definitely do tile. That's what she wanted to do. I think that tile for a resale, I said on a resale, I go on a resale. Talking about white trash. Oh, Eddie, please. But with the wood. I said, honey, on a resale. It came under there. I go, you've now made another bathroom. I said, anybody buying the house, they go... Why would you want tile? Well, tile... In the office? Well, no, tile... Not in the office. Just in that one room? Just in that area. Yeah, you would probably have to. Well, it's a cat's bathroom. Yeah. Because the wood, it can get in there. Get in the wood? It can get in the wood, and it can get in between the cracks in the wood. Because, you know, whereas the tile, you know, has the grout there, so it's one flush. Imagine how much easier life would be without those cats. Oh. Eddie, please. Eddie has not said anything incorrect. Yeah, you know what I would do, because it's slab under there, if it gets to that, is rip out the carpet and just put down plastic. And then when you go to sell the house, then replace the carpet. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Put plastic over the carpet? No, just rip out the carpet to get rid of the smell. And then just put plastic over the slab.
And leave it like that? Yeah. Oh, come on, Skye. Now that's white trash. Put your house on wheels at that point. And then when you go to sell the house, you put a fresh little piece of carpet in there. Don't you love seeing that every day, Mike? Every day you get to see that. Holy Toledo. You get this gorgeous house you work all your life to get. You have to walk around with plastic. It's just in the closet. Come on. So, Skye, you're talking cement. And then plastic. Slab. Yeah. And plastic. Just in the closet area. You know what we should do? We should put that on the couches, too. You know what? Yeah. Or line your entire house with newspaper. Yeah. You're just saying the little closet area. Oh. Because it would look weird to have a different kind of flooring in there. And then people would ask. They'd be like, why? And you'd be like, oh, well, because our cats peed everywhere. And they're like, well, we don't want to buy the cat pee house. Garbage. The only. Listen. That's what I would do, but hey. You would do that because you want to forego the cost of doing two jobs, putting in tile, taking tile out, putting carpet in when you move. Yeah, three jobs. I can't see that slab with plastic over it, man. God, there's the easiest solution just right there. Eddie, stop it. What is it? Just stop it. Come on. Come on. Zeth, what are you saying?
Do you remember how bad the backyard of your house looked when the pool was getting put in and how you didn't want to look at it and all that? Imagine that inside your house. He's right. What does that mean? When we were putting the pool in, the backyard was all ripped out and looked all disgusting. And we closed the blinds. We didn't even want to look at it. It looks kind of depressing. Yeah. Can you imagine the cat toilet room with cement and plastic? It's a tiny little... Oh, no. You do whatever you want to do. That was just my suggestion. 570-1053. P1 Danielson. Mikey, what's happening? Hey, my dad's cat, family cat, used to do the same thing. We had a stereo system set up in our living room with the TV and stereo. And behind the stereo system, the cat started venturing behind the stereo system and urinating. And it wouldn't stop. It was more my mom's cat.
And we did the same steps that you're talking about to the extent that we took everything out of the living room, the entertainment center, the stereo, shampooed, you know, sprayed, carpeted, put it all back, brought the cat back from the cat hotel. And, you know, everything was fine for about two weeks. We're all sitting there watching a movie. Cat comes strolling in the living room right behind the entertainment center, urinates. Can you believe the nerve on those things? And then so we had to save on voyage. Yes. Got rid of the cat? Yeah, we sold the cat out. Thank you. Sold him out? I believe that dogs are meant to coincide with human beings and live side by side with them. I do not believe that cats were ever meant to do that. And if you have a cat right now who you live peacefully with, you're the exception. Even Skye doesn't live peacefully with her cats. No, they attack. Her cats have tried to perform a vasectomy on her husband. A mastectomy on her. Yeah, a mastectomy on Skye. Her cats have sliced her body open on multiple occasions. They tried to slash her wrist. They did. I have current scratch marks on my wrist. Let me see. Look at that, Skye. Your cats are trying to kill you.
Yeah, got some nice ones right now. P1 Jessica. Hey, Mikey. Hey. Hey, I wanted to ask you something. Have you ever kenneled your cats before? Yeah. Okay, because I know I've had to do that to mine once or twice, and those little jerks are very likely to come back with a vengeance against you and not just go crazy on your office, on your entire home. Well, we've never had them all in a kennel at the same time. We usually have to take one, you know? because it's sick or whatever. It's not a kennel, but we've taken them to the vet, which is essentially the same thing. And when they come back, the other cats hate them because they smell different and they hiss at them and they get all mad until they get their house smell back. And so... I wonder what it's going to be like when they all have the different smell. They're all going to hate each other. Well, it just sounds like you're getting ready to make this quite a project. And I don't know if you have a family member who might be willing to take them in before you kennel them. Because from experience, it can backfire like you wouldn't believe. We do not. Well, I mean, if we took them to a family member's house, it would be the same as taking them to a kennel. Because it's going to smell different. As far as the smell is concerned, I get you.
All right. Thank you. Have a good one. Ike Turner died at his house in San Marcos. Who knew he even lived in San Marcos? I didn't know that. That's crazy. I heard that yesterday. I was like, I got to rewind that. Did that just say San Marcos? How old was he and how did he die? 76 years old. They're still investigating, but as of now, it looks like natural causes. Yeah. Here is Ike Turner talking about Tina Turner, cut 35. Somebody have a baby on a Thursday and they're back on stage on Saturday. I would think it'd take a lot of strength for that. You know, and then Tina always tried to be as much woman as she felt that I was man. Wow. Okay. That is a heck of a statement. Here's a band member that was in, I guess, used to work with Ike, cut 37.
The world has lost one of the best musicians in the history of the world. He was a true legend and a man of dignity, and we all loved him very, very much. So there it is. Ike Turner's gone. Did you hear Tina's statement? No, what she said. Yeah, because I guess as soon as the news broke, everybody was hounding her for a statement. So her rep released a statement, quote, Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today. She has not had any contact with him in 35 years. No further comment will be made. He used to beat her up. Yeah. Yeah. So she doesn't want to make any comment. Hey, that's kind of like taking the high road, you know? Yeah, I don't blame her. She's not going to say anything negative and she's not going to say anything nice. But that's her prerogative. When we come back, we're going to be doing a lot of stuff on the show today. Little something called Tough Love with Eddie. Oh. So how do you like this? Beautiful. I like that a lot. Uh-huh. Who has the oldest computer you know? Who has the oldest computer listening right now? Who sends email on the oldest computer you can think of? We're going to talk about it later. Somebody's out there with the oldest one. Still using it. Some Commodore. Some 486.

Corona light, it's the only light beer that's also a Corona. Okay, Dan, you're still singing? Oh, so no jingles or singing now. There's a difference? Massive difference, pal. I'll remember that. Finally, southbound on the 5, you'll find us from Encinitas now or so, all the way down toward the track. It's in the 30s, not too bad. Over on the 15, a couple spots off the 78 is busy, almost down toward Villarancho Parkway. Then a glitch past Ted Williams, Parkway. Some action on the 52 westbound, too. That's getting very busy out of Santee up and over the hill toward Tierra Santa. I'm Jeff Daly. That's your traffic on Rock 105.3. Isn't Cricket Wireless great? You want to keep your cell phone ringing during the holiday season? Right now, you can add unlimited text to Mexico for a buck on Cricket's $35 unlimited plans. Part of their dollar menu. That's great.
Yeah, I was getting texts from Pedro, who resides in Mexico. Yeah. Yeah, true. He was sending me pictures of him kind of dressed as Santa. Right. But he was doing, like, inappropriate things with candy canes and things like that. That guy. And I'm like, Pedro, he's just out of control. Yeah, when it's all unlimited and free, he just thinks he can send as much as he wants. Yeah. I mean, it doesn't cost anything, but I don't want to see it. But 2 o'clock in the morning, hey, guy, I'm sleeping. No, thank you. Yeah. Now, when he was doing all the shenanigans, Did he happen to mention that you could add that unlimited mobile web for a buck, too, if you have the $45 unlimited plan? He did mention that. He did? Yeah. Hey. Didn't mention that to me. How about that wherewithal? I know. I mean, not bad. That's good. Not bad. So, Skye, why don't you give out their website? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. Featuring the Dump Check Challenge. Skye, what river carved the Grand Canyon? Ha, ha, ha. Colorado River. That is correct. Total yes. Oh, come on. I was like, okay, Mississippi. Well, I can't be the Mississippi. Oh, my God. It's the dumb chick challenge. And it's over on the Mikey Show. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 640. Mitt Romney is making a campaign fundraising stop this afternoon in San Diego. This is a bit of a surprise. The Falcons owner, Arthur Blank.
A little upset with Bobby Petrino's decision to leave the Falcons. Did you guys hear that my boy Mike Huckabee was apologizing to Mitt Romney yesterday about his Mormon comment? Really? Yeah. Now, it's very interesting because initially, you know, it's an article that's coming out in the New York Times, right, Skye? Yeah. On Saturday. And it was an interview with this reporter for the New York Times that he said this. So you don't actually see him say it, you know, it's a text. And so when you see the written word, you know, you're like, wow, that is not good. And it's either way, it isn't. But yesterday they gave Huckabee an opportunity to defend it. Now, Sky, do you have what he actually said? Yeah, you know, the bad stuff, the stuff that Huckabee apologized for is, I guess he was quoted as saying, or kind of posing the question, because he said that he's not really educated on the Mormon faith, the ins and outs of it, and he said, quote, don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers? Right. So that's one thing he said. And then the other thing was the reporter kept pressing him on whether he thought,
being a Mormon was a religion or a cult, and Huckabee said, well, he thinks it's the former, meaning a cult, but conceded that he didn't know much about it. Sky, I have never, I'm telling you, I watched CNN all day yesterday. I read everything of text on CNN. I never heard that Huckabee said it's the former. Never. And he's not, I mean, that just has not come up. Where are you getting that from? What is that from? CNN? I haven't read the whole thing yet. I was just, as you brought it up, quickly reading it and highlighting it. Or would the former be a religion? Whether he thought Mormonism was a religion or a cult, Huckabee, a former pastor, said he thought it's the first thing. Why is he apologizing for that?
I don't know. Well, that's why that hasn't made news, because that's not bad. There's nothing wrong with what he said there. Read it on the lie. Okay, now. Former ladder, whatever. I don't know the difference. Nobody does. I don't even like ladders, to be honest. I can't climb one. That's for Mexicans. My goodness. If he had said the ladder. So I guess it was just the comment about Jesus and the devil. Right. He said, don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers. Okay, now. So I watch Wolf Blitzer ask him about it right after the debates in Iowa yesterday. And he says, and this is what I love about Huck. You watch Huck. Huck. And when you watch Huck, you see a guy, in my opinion, you see a guy who appears to be very speaking from the heart. Genuine? Yes, very genuine. With a lot of candidates, you see this. Well, you don't get that with Mike Huckabee. Mike Huckabee will smile when it seems something like that. But he wasn't smiling about this. And it wasn't like, it's no big deal, blah, blah, blah. I mean, he went right after it. And what he said was, I spoke to this guy for the New York Times for many hours.
And during the course of the conversation, he was pressing me on making comments about Mitt Romney's Mormon religion. I told him, I don't want to go there. I don't want to talk about it. I don't know much about it. This guy that was interviewing him knew a lot about religions and was very well versed on religions and was telling him about different religions. And he's obviously very knowledgeable. Huck says to him, Don't they believe that Jesus and the devil were brothers? Now, I've heard something similar to that, that in their theology that there was a thought like that. Now, he says he's asking the guy. He said that he talked to the guy since this story broke, and the guy that wrote the article is surprised that out of all that text, that this has become a thing and that that's what the headline is. So he still said to, Mitt Romney, yesterday, as soon as the debates ended, I saw it because they kept the camera on the debates. As soon as the debates ended, I saw they were standing next to each other, Mitt Romney and Huckabee. And I saw him, you know, shake his hand and like put his arm on his arm and they started to talk for a while. And I was thinking, what is that going on? Because I didn't know the story yet. So he apologized to him. Mitt Romney.
He didn't seem to think it was an issue and said, yeah, I accept the apology. His people released a statement saying, I accept the apology and whatever. But it's being made into kind of a big thing. However, I do not agree with Mike Huckabee on some stuff. Oh, what'd you find out? Here's the deal. You are going to agree on some stuff. You're not going to agree on some stuff. I have a feeling where Huck's going with this, but I don't agree with it. He's endorsed by Kevin Gilchrist of the Minutemen Project. He's honored to have the endorsement. And I threw my arms up with my wife yesterday and I said, this is messed up, man. Why is Huckabee being endorsed by the Minutemen and why does he say that's okay? And she's, calm down. And I'm like, no, babe. Have you gone to the website of the Minutemen Project? I've been to it. I know what it says. And she's like, well, first of all, take it easy. And she said, I know that you think that the Minutemen is a racist organization. She said, but by and large, I think that America thinks that they're a little wacky and a little out there. But she said, it's not like the average American goes, oh, they're racist. She said, I think the average American thinks that they're a little. Now, here's why I think he's accepting the endorsement. And here's why I think he's saying what he's saying.
The attacks on him are the opposite of racism. The attacks on him are that he has, in his state, funded college tuition to children of illegal immigrants. And he's under fire, man, especially from Republicans. It's a very libby thing to do. It's a very liberal thing to do. And so the Republicans are nailing him on this. And so he's under fire for appearing to be sensitive. to the plight of illegals. And his take on it is I don't believe that children should be punished for crimes their parents commit. And that tuition that I set forth only applies to illegal immigrants who get straight A's. And I said, man, that means that they're producing smart kids. So I'm a little... you know, iffy on it. Like, I don't know how I feel about giving illegal immigrants kids like tuition and stuff like that. But at the same time, I'm like, yeah, but they're like the only ones that are getting it are the straight A kids. I'm a little on the fence about it. And I'm completely out on the Minutemen endorsement and him being happy about it. But I think I get it. He's going, hey, I'm not, I'm not like, you know, for illegals. Look who's endorsing me.
And the Minutemen Project has said that his plan is the only one that they think is a real plan to keep illegals out. So anyway, yesterday, big political day. And a little bit of fireworks on the stage of the debate. This is Law & Order. This is Law & Order during the Iowa Republican debate yesterday. Cut one. I would like to see a show of hands. How many of you believe global climate change is a serious threat and caused by human activity? I'm not doing hand shows today. No hand shows today. He wouldn't raise his hand. Is that yes or no for you? Do you believe that global climate change is a serious threat and caused by human activity? Do you want to give me a minute to answer that? No, I don't. Well, then I'm not going to answer. How about 30 seconds? No, I... You want to show our hands. We're going to... It was weird. She wanted them to raise their hands. Right. She wanted them to raise their hands if they wanted to answer it, which was weird. And they were like, dude, at one point she asked a question, and hey, any of you are open to it? And all of them start going... And she's like, order, order in the court. It was the weirdest thing. Oh, you know what one of the questions was?
These debates have been so stupid. And I can't wait for the Democrats to debate because I want to see if they get stupid too. If they get the stupid stuff too. Because this is how she ended it. On CNN, who is notorious as a left network, she ends it like this. Candidates moving from left to right. Can you please tell me a New Year's resolution that you think one of your fellow candidates should make? In other words, talk some crap about each other. Just real quick to wrap it up. That's lame. So lame. That'll fix our country. Yeah, exactly. Guess who said that? Mike Huckabee said that. Awesome. Awesome. Dude, it was such a trip, man. They're asking, like, everybody yesterday had, like, a thing that they wanted to get out there. So like McCain was like, I really want to talk about what I'm going to do with health care. And Giuliani was like, I want to tell you how I am going to be the president that you want in a crisis. And everybody was like talking about the difference. It comes to Huckabee and he says, OK, whatever. I want to unite the country and have us working like as one individual thing and like care about all these different things. And I'm like, yeah, sounds good to me.
So anyway, yesterday was a pretty big political... Oprah Winfrey gave away about a billion dollars yesterday. I'm not kidding you, man. Again? You know how she does that TV show where she does... Or she does a show where around Christmas time... Lock under your seats! I'm gonna get tickets to that. Dude, my wife said it's like a three-year wait to get tickets to that. No way. But wait till I tell you that stuff she... I was like... Whoa. Everybody in the audience got one of about 50 things. I was like, whoa. It's next. And how about we do a little tongue-deaf karaoke? Oh, yeah. It's all next. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rates apply. It's the P1 Text Army.

So, Sky just informed me that the Oprah Winfrey show where she's giving away the expensive items was apparently from, like, 1986. No, no, it was this year's episode, but it just aired for the first time at, like, the end of November, I believe. Why only show a rerun that quick? Weird. That is the dumbest thing. Yeah. She's giving away refrigerators with TVs in them. What? Just for being in the audience? Just for being in the audience, man. And the refrigerator's, you know, filled with stuff. And then they said that they were going to take the refrigerator to your house and take your old one out and give it to, like, charity. Holy cow. Yeah, I think, like, each audience member ended up walking away with, like, 17 grand worth of stuff. That's crazy! That's what I read back in November. It was insane. Yeah. Video recorders. Skrill! She had a... She had this big, giant, what looked like a photo album, and it was this, uh... United Artists Movie Studios gave you their entire library. It was worth like $850. I want that. And it had Rocky and all the big United Artists movies. I want that. Oh, dude. Yeah, I want one too. It looked pretty awesome. Awesome! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Over 2,000 San Diego State students plan to do a midnight undie run last night and donate all their clothes to fire victims. All I want for Christmas? is the Pirates' Jason Bay. Padres, please make that trade. Please. Earlier, I was telling you that a drug company is going to be yanking a million kid vaccines. It's a big company, too. You've probably heard of it. They're called Merck. What's the deal, Sky?
So the vaccine is to protect kids against meningitis, pneumonia, other serious infections, hepatitis B. Now, this vaccine is recommended for all kids under five years old and is given in a three-shot series starting when your kid is two months old. Now, with the specific vaccine that they're recalling, they said there have been sterilization problems at their factory. They're not really going into detail. All they say is there's a risk that your kid could develop an infection. Great. Okay, now, Jake started getting them when he was two months old. I wonder if he, we'd probably know if he got a shot or something bad because he would have gotten sick. Or infected with something? I mean, I'm not a doctor. Eddie's a doctor. Eddie's a doctor. Eddie, what do you think? I know there's confusion, but I'm actually not a doctor, but I would say, yeah, he's probably shown signs. Okay, so he would have shown signs by now. Yes. Well, with that in mind... Doesn't it feel good just to hear that first note? It does. Especially this time of year. Really? Well, people need it. Oh, yeah. They do. Tis the season. That's right. Tis the season, to be honest. Opposite.
Tis the season to be helpful. That's right. Thank you, Ashley. Tis the season to heal the community. You get it. Well said. We do a segment called Tough Love with Eddie where people will write us and ask Eddie questions. Why Eddie? Because Eddie shoots from the hip. Tell like it is, Mike. He tells it like it is. He's very blunt. No placation. That's right. Very rude. Whoa. Whoa! So, With that being said, let's begin the healing. I think it's rude to tell somebody not the truth. That's true, Eddie. I think it is. Good point. There's a nice way to tell the truth. Not only rude, potentially harmful. No, there's a nice way to put it without punching someone in the face. I mean, Skye, when you go to a doctor and you got cancer, you want the doctor to say, hey, listen, I've got to be tough with you. You've got cancer. We've got to go through some tough treatments here. No, you want the doctor to say, I'm really sorry to have to tell you this. We're going to do our best for it to be okay. I don't want that. I'm with Mike. Well, here is our first letter. Oh, great.
It says, Dear Eddie, I have a real issue with a guy at work. He is so creepy. All he does is stare at my chest all day. I can't even have a conversation with him because all he does is look at my chest. It really bothers me, and I want him to stop. Is there anything I can tell him to make him aware of how uncomfortable he's making me? Signed, P1 Jennifer, Rancho Bernardo. Eddie? Dear The Hills Have Eyes. That's good, Eddie. Thanks. You really think about that one. It really works on a lot of levels. So, you have a creepy guy at work, man. That sucks. Zeph! Oh, wait. Bless you. Bless you. Sorry. Excuse me. Got a little... It was so weird because when I sneezed, it was almost like... Zeph! Thank you. Thank you, Zeph. Thank you.
Here's the deal. I have a feeling we're not getting the full story here. My guess is you're walking around like an El Cajon streetwalker with your sweater meat exposed to the world to see. That's my guess. Sweater meat. Wow. Sweater meat. Turn it around on the victim. I love women that wear shirts that have necklines that plunge to their kneecaps. Yeah. Then say... Oh, no, don't stare at my chest. My eyes are up here. Whatever, lady. If you showed me a guy that could fart the alphabet, of course I'm going to stare. That's awesome. It's like putting a plate of honey-baked ham in front of the sky and telling her not to eat. It's not right. It's not right. No, it's cruel. So anyway, if you really want a cure, try putting on a shirt that you didn't buy at the baby gap and cover up your weapons of mass destruction. I thought that was good advice. Thank you. We don't even know that she does that. He could just be a creepy guy. Our next email reads... Bless you, Eddie. Something's going around. Our next email reads... Hi, Eddie.
Duh. Duh. And again with the tears. Oh, come on. I don't want to be with a guy that can't control his emotions. Eddie, what should I tell him? Thank you! With an exclamation point. P1 Alicia from OB. Eddie? Here, don't fear the weeper. Here's what surprises me the most. I didn't realize Zeth was dating anybody. I really didn't. I mean, congratulations. Two out of two. Should be in order. Two out of two.
Two out of two. And I really didn't realize that someone other than Ashley could make him cry, to be honest with you. I mean, it's a surprise to, I think, all of us. And by the way, only a monster would not cry at the notebook. Thank you. Just a personal note. I support that statement. Anyway. I support that statement. Anyway. Here's a thought, Alicia. Give him a couple of large ball bearings with a card that says, I think you've been looking for these. Oh, wow. You don't like that one, Scott? No, that's not going to happen. How about holding up your cell phone and say, hey, buddy, Chris Crocker called and he wants his dress back. Again, probably not going to be positive. No, you don't like that one? Okay, well, how about this one then? You maybe want to say, if I wanted a man that cries, I'd date Ellen DeGeneres. I like that one. That one will probably work. Any way you look at it, Zeph is never going to change.
Either you get used to dating the world's tallest sissy, or you kick him to the curb. Okay. That was problem solved. Well, then, maybe... Oh, Eddie, you're good. I can't cry once. Eddie's waving at Zad. I mean, you're good. He's trying to help the guy. Oh, man. Two for two, Eddie. Let's bring it home with the work. And our last letter. Yes. One last letter here. And it reads, Dear Eddie, I am so wanting to get your opinion on something. Please don't say my name on the air. I've heard you talk about deal breakers before. You said that once you went on a date with a girl who held her fork weird and you never went out with her again. That's true. Well, I don't blame you and I think it sounded weird too. Okay. So I have a very, very, very minor dandruff problem. I am so not kidding that it's barely noticeable. You would probably never even know I had it.
But I'm just curious if that would be a deal breaker, signed P1 and in parentheses, Sarah. Probably not her real name. Eddie? Condoleezza Lice. I have four words for you. That's disgusting. Two words. That's actually two words. That's not four words. Oh, you guys are right. That's right. I forgot. That's vile, too. Let's throw that one in. Does that equal four? Because I can make it eight words if you need me to. I can keep going. Yes, bug head. Shedding your scalp is a deal breaker. I mean, how am I supposed to take you to dinner when you're crop dusting my steak? Okay, four more words. Head and shoulders.
Three words. Whatever. Wash your hair, bro. I'm getting grossed out just thinking about it. I mean, who wants to eat a cannoli and wonder if that powdered sugar on it is my girlfriend's salt shaker head? I'm sorry, Skye, but if I rub my fingers through your hair, I don't want to look like I've been playing with glitter, okay? Oh, that's going to make me grow up. Oh, what is she, my girlfriend or a walking ticker tape parade? Every time we go out, it looks like New Year's Rock and Eve is falling out of our head. A bunch of junk raining down. Dick Clark slurring his words. Seacrest making goo goo eyes at Josh Groban. Yeah, great. I think I made my point here. Yes, dandruff is a deal breaker. Unless you're Zeph, in which case you'll take anything you can get. Three for three.
Three for three. I haven't put it on the board already. But other than that, yeah. Wow. Sky behold. Can't you hear it coming up Texas Avenue? It's the sound of healing. Yeah, you're welcome, Zeph. What's a P1? P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't catch, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. Of the P1 Army. The Mikey Show. I've come full circle on this song. First time I heard this song, I go, not only is that a stupid song and a terrible song, how did somebody at a record company ever agree to let this song be a single on the radio? Then I heard it a second time and I was like, ooh, about this thing still. Third time I heard it, afterwards I was like, ooh. And now I just told Ashley, can you... that song on a CD for me? If you're hearing it for the first time, you're not going to like it. I'm telling you, you should be repelled by this. I am. This is off deep wood spray and you're a mosquito. It gets really good. Okay. Yeah. Is this your first time, Eddie? Yes. First time's the worst. First time is the worst. It's like something from my mom's iPod. Dude, I'm telling you, I wanted to vomit the first time I heard it.
Makes Coldplay look straight. Oh, wow. Wait till I tell you who it is. I go, that's... What? Dude, that's Silverchair. Come on. I'm not kidding. I don't believe you. No, Eddie, I'm not... Did they get Boy George as their lead singer now? Stupid song got stuck in my head. This is the same band. This guy's married to Natalie Imbruglia. Really? Yeah, lead singer. Gosh, I'm learning so much. Daniel Johns, a silver chair, married to Natalie Imbruglia. They're both Australian, Mike. These Australians stick together. Tom Cruise's ex-wife and Keith Urban. Keith Urban is Australian? Yeah.
Well said. Wife writing the music now? Thank you. You know what happened for me with it? Well, first of all, I got stuck in my head, and then I imagined it in the trailer for a new movie. Coming-of-age movie, big giant scenes, crane shots, guy standing outside, the wind's blowing, it's raining, he's looking up at a window, you hear that? King Kong shows up. Yeah, exactly. You've never seen. It's got a gray matter, it's... Kind of a play on words there. All right, Sky has the top downloads on iTunes in the year 2007. Ooh, I got this. All right, how about... Okay, so there's three separate categories. Bay City Rollers. That's not in any of the categories. America's Sister Golden Hair. Ooh, yeah. Nice. I have the top three. Lindsey Buckingham. Every song.
I have the top three songs that were downloaded, the top three albums that were downloaded, and the top three videos that were downloaded. Timberland something. No. Hollaback Girl. No. That was 06. Timberland's not. Justin Timberlake. Yeah. Justin Timberlake. No. Oh. Can you check and see if Justin Timberlake is on there? Well, it's Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. No, it's Timberlake. Boston Rob. Yeah. No. Bringing Dirty back. Bringing Dirtbag back. No. Yeah, what about Matt Damon? Well, no, he's not a musical. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Britney Spears, Gimme More. No. U2, like a U2 of Rolling Stones CD? No. It's Britney, bitch. No. What's that junkie's name? State Escape. That horse mouth. Rehab. Amy Winehouse. Rehab. Yeah. I said it. Everyone slow down. Rehab. I didn't even think of that. Everyone slow down.
Gwen Stefani's Sweet Escape was the number two song downloaded. And then Amy Winehouse's Back to Black album was the number two album downloaded. Yes, yes, yes. Cold, cold, cold. Cold, cold, cold. All right. Not placing an order, for crying out loud. That lady's nuts. Tenacious D, pick of destiny. Oh, yeah. Right on Eddie. Check it. No. Put it on the board, Eddie. Sexy back isn't thick. Sexy back, man. No Timberlake. No Timberlake at all. What about Feist? No. Oh, yeah. What's this made popular by the iTunes commercial? Kanye West Stronger. Well, Kanye West's album, Graduation, was the number three album download. Yeah, yeah, good times. This is for 2007. This is Kanye West's good times. Honestly, this one is normal. It should be. It's not on there. What about Rihanna? What about anything? It's a pow.

Don't cry. It was the number one downloaded song on iTunes for 2007. What? What? Number one of it. Number one? This song I have? I downloaded it. Oh. So did I. What are you contributing to? This song's horrible. Melodies in my head. I like it. Gremlin singing. Oh, oh. Blue Oyster Cult. Yeah. Are they on there, Sky? Reaper. Check it out. The Reaper. Put it on the board. Sky, what about you? Check it. Oh, yeah. Tell about Mike. Put it up there. Tell about Mike. Five, four, three, two, one. The only prescription. It's more cowbell. More the space. More the space. Man, we got to be in the top five now. We got to be getting up there with all these guesses. For sure. They're wearing gold diapers now. What about... What about Eddie Murphy? Yeah. Party all the time. Boogie in my butt. Party all the time. That's a good song. There's an inner circle on there. The cops theme.
What about Eddie? He said, Boogie in your butt. She didn't probably hear that. Is this party all the time or Boogie in your butt? This is a party all the time. Dude, Axel Foley. Rockwell. Somebody's watching me. So you're missing the number three song, the number one album, and the number one and number three video. All right, we'll work on it. But first, Eddie Murphy and Boogie in your butt. That's an awesome song. That's so sweet, baby. Oh, really? Do you even know this song? Awesome! No, I said you guys are so good. Well, you're going to love it when you hear it. Your new favorite song. No. Your ringtone. This ain't no silver chair. It's delicious right away, kid. I picture the Chicago Bears in 1985 dancing to this. William the Refrigerator Perry. Jim McMahon. Yeah. Those headband. Yeah. Those dopey sunglasses. Walter Payton, God rest his soul. Yes, God rest his soul. God rest his soul. God rest his soul.
I ain't putting no boogie in nobody, but it's nasty, man. What you talking about? What? Murphy, man. That's the best. I could listen to that all day. So awesome. I don't know what we're missing. Wow. I apologize, Eddie. Thank you. What about Wyclef Jean? No. No Timberland? No Timberlake. Beyonce. Oh, Beyonce. Of course. Of course, Beyonce. Beyonce. What about Bruce Willis and the Accelerators? Is he on there? Top video. Did you look at that?
Yes, I did. For his Bartles and James commercial. What about Ike Turner? Too soon? Too soon with that one? The guy's still swinging practically. Lionel Richie, All Night Long. Top download? We're missing the top album. Mike and the Mechanics, All I Need is a Miracle. Put it on the board. I know, I know, I know. I got a real guess. What? Daughtry. No. It's a first good real contribution. It's a number one album? It was legit. For video, Billy Ocean, Get Out of My Dreams, Get Into My Car. This guy's not even looking. She wouldn't even look. Well, if you're naming songs that didn't come out in 2007, there's no point in me looking at them. Okay, fine. Thriller. I didn't hear that part. Is Thriller on that list? We already said that. I bet Thriller's on that list. Dream Academy, Life in a Northern Town. Can I start giving hints? No, because I'm finding that song right now. Dude, I love that song. That is only the most awesome song ever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So good. Dream Academy. Dream Academy, Life in a Northern Town. Happy in bed. This song doesn't get you, you.
Sky, you heard this song? I don't think so. Of course you haven't. Good. Come on, picture you're at CVS. They're playing it on the speakers. They got it on that satellite music they pipe in. You hear it at grocery stores. There you go. I've heard this. Isn't that where Mufasa lifts up the little baby? Yeah, that's the part. I thought Elton John did that, though. Ready for hints yet? No. Tay Zonday. I got it. Tay Zonday. Tay Zonday. I got it. David Hasselhoff, Jump in My Car. Soulja Boy, crank that. Yep, that's on there. A legitimate guest. Jump in my car. There it is. I want to take you home.
You got to move the hips when you do that. Oh, that's jam. Yes, Rob. Soldier Boy, Crank That was the number three downloaded video on iTunes. Soldier Boy. So we need the number three song, the number one album, and the number one video. Can I give hints yet? No. I would love hints. You. Yeah. We don't have a vote in this. Oh, what about that Carrie Underwood song? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Carrie Underwood. Before he stinks. No. We're not doing songs anymore, are we? Didn't we get them all? No, number three songs. Shut up, Ashley. No, Carrie Underwood. Kobe Kyle. Can I give a hint? No. Yes. Lead me in. Yes. Two, three, four. Ha! One, three, two. Will you count me in? No, you better do it. No, I won't. I've been awake for a while now. It's gonna feel like a child now. Are you doing? Say, say, say, dolly play. Mikey. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Pickle my nose. Hey. Nickelback. Nickelback.
Check it. Nickelback Rockstar was the number one video downloaded on iTunes. So we've closed out the video category. Still the number three song and the number one album. What about Maroon 5? Maroon 5, it won't be soon before long, number one album downloaded. 10,000 Maniacs. These are the days. Oh, that's a good one. How about that one, Skye? Can you check that one? So you're just missing the number three downloaded song, and then we're done with this list. True Colors, Cyndi Lauper. That should be on there. Gorgeous, Diddy. So not apologize. What about Alligator, Kenneth Keith Kalenbach? Oh, yes! Is that on there? No. That's a good song. Ashley, can you get that up on the... Sean Kingston, Beautiful. Like I was saying, Ashley, can you put up alligator for me? Up here on the wall for me, please. Yes. Yeah, Sean Kingston Sky, is that on there? No. You should check. Well, there's only one song left on here. What about antidepressants by Serge Tarkanian? No.
What about the song from The Silence of the Lambs? Oh, that should be on there, right, Sky? That was a big one. That was a big one this year. That was a big one this year. Put it on the board, Sky. Can you at least check the list, lady? Hey, there, Delilah. Ashley got it. The number three most downloaded song on iTunes was Plain White T's Hey There, Delilah. That's the first thing that was even said. If you guys never said it, don't try and take credit for Ashley's answer. We said it like five times. Hey, check me out now. I'm not going to be your yes man, Mike. Sean. I always stand when I watch TV at night. Boss and Rob. This is how the brain of a genius works. I'm just piling on all cylinders right now. Not really. No. Opposite. So Rob. And Ashley. I like my sweat and I don't want to use special deodorant. On Rock 105.3. It's 8 o'clock. Scott Weiland was officially charged yesterday with driving under the influence of drugs. The Astros trade five players for Baltimore's Miguel Tejada. Pam Anderson and Rick Solomon are doing a, they're shopping a reality show. Oh, gross. Like, you gotta, I mean, you gotta figure, like, that's their idea. Like, they go, I know. Which is strange to me. Anybody biting?
Not that's being reported yet. The reports are that they're shopping around something to be lighthearted and fun and are advertising as a plus in regards to the couple that they don't have any boundaries, which is perfect for reality television because you can get into every facet of their life. That's creepy. Okay, so we asked people, what is the oldest computer? Who is listening right now that has the oldest computer? Eddie said something the other day really surprised me. Eddie's got his computer all the way from Dallas, which is how many years ago? Five years ago? Seven. Seven. Oh, my God. Seven years ago. Piece of junk. Holy Toledo, man. And now it's just, is it real slow? Yeah, it's terrible. I need to upgrade. I would be fascinated to know, like, the specs on that sucker.
How big the hard drive was. How much memory it had. I don't even know. You know what I mean? Because now, hard drives are like, you know, 300 gig. You've got pretty fast computers now. We've got to get a new computer. I finally convinced Rebecca we must get a new computer. And I'm going Mac. Yeah. No more PC for me. Yeah, because when you consider... First of all, I've used them and I really like them. Yeah. Everybody that I've ever talked to that is a Mac... Person says, dude, once you go Mac, you'll always go black. Yeah, I've heard that many times. I don't think that's a saying. So anyway, I'm switching over to it. Cool. P1 Rude Boy is on the line. Are you there, Rude Boy? Oh, I'm here, Mikey. What's going on, man? Not too much, dude. So who do you know? Dude, my boy Brennan's got this old-school Apple IIe from, like, I swear this thing. Oh, my God.
Yeah, it was a kickdown from his mom. I guess she worked for the school district back in, like, 87. And when they got rid of him to, like, upgrade, he took that thing and would play Oregon Trail on it, like, all day. That's a video game? I always die of dysentery. I'm sorry? That's a video game, Oregon Trail? Yeah, that was huge. Yeah, you never heard of that? Never heard of it in my life. Oh, dude. It's killer, man. It's, like, the slowest game. It all runs on, like, a DOS system. It's pretty sick. Rude boy. For a game from, like, when I was seven years old, though, you know? How's it work? Basically, well, it takes like 10 minutes to log on because it's a dot system. And then, I mean, after that, like you just, I'm trying to remember, like you just kind of like click around, like, you know, it's just right, up, down, right and left buttons to like move your guy along and answer questions. You can hunt on it. It's like the Oregon Trail, but everything's on the keyboard. That's right, Rob knows what's up. Now, Rude Boy, does your boy, Brendan, does he actually use this thing for email and composing? No, no, God, no. I don't think it even has, like, I don't even think they had internet connections. No, it won't. You can't even get an internet connection? I don't think so. Why have it? Like, what's the point of it? Oregon Trail. Oregon Trail. Oh, you're right. My bad, dude. I'm also going to play it. Can he do anything else on it besides Oregon Trail? Like word processing?
but the printer is, like, just as old. See, that's the question. The word processing, like, is it, uh, it's not even Microsoft Word, right? Uh, no, no. It's, like, on a DOS system. Like, I'm not sure, like, what's called it. It's probably, like, WordStar. WordStar? Oh, gee. Whoa. Oh, my. Hey, dude, thanks for the call. No worries, guys. That is weird. This guy, I think, same thing. P1 Marcos, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. You guys pretty much said it, dude. We have an Apple IIe, too. It finally died about four years ago, dude. But here you go, Sean. We had Deadly Towers. Oh, dude. Yeah, we had Deadly Towers and the interactive Garfield game. We would kind of place them all over the house. No idea what he's talking about. Sean does. Right, Sean? Wasn't that the original Control-Alt-Delete computer system to reset it? That's a good question. I have no clue. Thank you, bro. Wow. P1 Kevin. Yeah, I got a PacMate 4100. It's a Packard Bell computer. They went out of business because their failure rate was at 15%. It had a 60 megahertz processor, 1.08 gigabyte hard drive.
It cost me $3,500 from Costco. And within a year, they had dropped the prices of computers down to under $1,000. And it has a 4X CD-ROM. It's like I refused to get rid of it because it cost me almost $4,000 and then computers dropped. What year was that? What's that? What year was that? 1992 or 3, I believe. Wow. And it has one gig of memory? No, no. One gigabyte hard drive. 1.08. So, dude. Four megabytes of RAM. Oh, my. You've got your money's worth. Update that. Yeah, dude. Like, seriously? One gigabyte. That's crazy! The hard drive being one gigabyte. Like... I'm thinking you can put a few pictures on that computer. And can you imagine paying four grand for that? Dude, my camera has more memory than that. Oh, yeah. You can get a camera now. A digital camera holds four gig on a flash card. Yeah. Well, I upgraded the memory from four to 16, and it made Windows 98 go so much faster, but that's as far as you can go. Oh, my goodness. Windows 98. Oh, my goodness. Kevin.
Are you, wait, dude. Knock it off. Okay, my question. That's crazy. Kevin, my question is, will you replace it? No, I don't use it as my primary computer, but I refuse to take that $4,000 loss, even though it's worth it. I won't get rid of it. Stay strong, brother. Stay strong, dude. You hold on. It's been 15 years. Holding on. I have a new laptop. I just won't get rid of that other one because it's worthless. Someone would buy it and I can't get any money, but I'm not going to throw it away. Oh, you can't. 4K? No way. Sell it to a museum, dude. Yeah, exactly. Take it to the Smithsonian. I'll hold on to it. Maybe some year it'll come back in style. There you go. Thank you, bro. Appreciate it. P1 Suburban Cowboy is on the line. Oh, good. Suburban Cowboy. Hey, how you doing? Good, man. Tell everybody what a P1 is. P1. Someone who gets to their point, doesn't cuss, turns down the radio, and is a longtime listener. Cool. So tell me about your computer. It's actually my dad's computer, but I grew up with it. It was a 1986 IBM. Oh, wow.
Yeah, I grew up with things like Rita Rabbit. I can't remember the actual name of the game, but like Mystic Mountain, you go around, you take pictures of things. Crazy games. Wow. Again, it runs on dots. The only thing you could do is play those games in word process, basically. That's unbelievable. Yeah, my dad used it at his home office for backing up files. Now it makes a great paperweight. I guess so. Let's take a couple of more calls. This is P1SYAB. What does SYAB stand for? Oh, it's an acronym for Sky is a Beating. Okay, gotcha. All right. Okay. All right, well, that makes sense. That's not nice. That makes sense. Well said. So, SYAB, P1SYAB, what's going on? Tell me about your computer. Well, it's actually my pop's computer. He has a 96 Fujitsu laptop. What the heck is that? A Fujitsu? Yeah, it's pretty burly. It's like a Kawasaki. What's really funny about it is that he uses it every single day. Are you kidding me? What can he do on it? Well, actually, it has Windows 95 on it, and you can run word processing, especially if you don't have a lot of...
Oh, my. Shall we play a game? All right. Thank you. Rebecca, my wife, she wants to go to a taping of Ellen really bad. That's cool. She even wants to send... She wants to send a picture of Jake because Ellen does these segments where she shows the kids and stuff. Like, really an Ellen fan, man. She really loves Ellen. Cool, I don't blame her. He's a funny dude. The chicks love Ellen. Oh, she's so the best. I got audio of Terrell Owens and Keyshawn Johnson going at it. Oh. Like fighting.
Coming up next, I'll play you that, and we'll do Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. Oh, no. Oh, dude. We will be traveling across the ocean. I don't want to go. South Korea. It's coming up next. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is the Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to say. Rock 105.3. What do we got?
What the heck is that, dude? No way. No way. Dude. What the heck? What's going on? No way. We just looked out the window for... I'm going to throw up today. Look at Rob. Oh, my goodness. That looks gross. Oh, my goodness. I can't. Gosh, I love this game. It's not a game. It's not a game, kid. It is for me. Oh, my God. I'm going to throw up what's going on. Can this be the last time for real? After that, I may have to agree. I don't want to do this anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah, dude, yeah. Yeah, please. He's knocking on the window. Please, please be the last time. I can't. Dude, that's got to smell so good. No. Take a whiff of it. Take a whiff of it. Oh, that is so gross. Dude, I can't. It's time for Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. Oh, goodness.
Just a side note. Just to pull the curtain back. Tell everybody what Rob did during the commercial. Please. Yeah, this is your punishment for that. Oh, what did I do? He was... His punishment. He didn't do anything wrong. It was pretty funny. Oh, I'm sure it was. He was outside the studio. He's doing it now. He's outside, and it's cold outside, so he's doing this on the glass. And he's fogging up the glass, and he wrote backwards the word... ham so that we can read it perfectly in here. Okay. That is so stupid. Awesome. Through the mist that he put on the window. That's great. And then after he did it, he gave us the thumbs up. Can we take a picture of that? Can you take a picture of that? They're out there. No, I know, but we got to get it from in here so you can see it like right ways, saying ham. Yeah. You should try it.
Shut up and eat your gross stuff. I think this is the ham of the police. Isn't that what it's called? Shut up. Okay, well, it's time for Bizarre Foods with Boston. Oh, man. I want to come back inside. Nope. Today, you're going to be eating... Oh, you love this, I know. Sanachi. What? Excuse me? Pardon? Well said. Bless you. Sanachi. How do you spell that? Bless you. You spell it S-A-N-N-A-K-J-I. It's a Nazi. It don't look like that. Well, no, it looks more like what it is in English. Baby octopus. Dude, you don't want to look at this. Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob. Move it over to the... Move it over. No, no, no. Rob, move the whole... Move that thing that you have it sitting on. Move it so I can see. My makeshift table? Yeah, your makeshift table. A trash can? I don't mean... So, move it towards the door that we walk in. So that... Okay. There you go. There you go. And then back so I can actually see it. Then back. A big smile on his face. Can you move back? Yeah, let's move back. I don't want to drop it on the ground. Is there nobody out there? Disgusting enough. Somebody help him? Let me see. Let me see. Oh, that's awful.
Oh, yeah. Oh, that they poured it out on this white. That's like vomit. Paper plate. Oh, that's just awful, dude. Imagine like cut up brains. Oh, bro. No, thank you. How are they prepared? Like a tomato sauce. Disgustingly. Yeah. Ashley's doing crazy today. That's horrific. I saved some for you if you want some. I'll bring it in there. You like sushi, don't you? Let's do it. Let's do it. Wait, are you going to tell us about it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me tell you about Sanokji. Sanokji is the name of a South Korean dish which consists of live baby octopus. Live? Yeah, that's been cut up into small pieces and usually served lightly seasoned with sesame oil or tomato sauce. Oh, I wish I could.
while the octopus pieces are usually still squirming on the plate. Shut up. Shut up. It can also be served whole. I'm having a hard time right now. Imagine the scene in like Alien when you see the head of the alien and it's like dripping. Look at Rob's covering it. It's like dripping with stuff. That's what it looks like. Is he done? He's done. I don't want to hear that. Rob. Special, special care, special care ought to be taken when eating Sinachi. Oh, why? Why? Because the little tentacle suckers are still active. Oh. And they can stick to a person's mouth or throat. Oh. That's dangerous. Well, it can present a choking hazard for some people. It's okay. I know CPR and Heimlich maneuver. Especially if you're skinny. Oh, man. Well, Rob is emancipated. You're free, Rob. Run and be free.
Free our last, free our last. Well said. Bob, you've been emancipated. Emaciated. That's what you meant. There you go, girl. Very similar words. It looks like spaghetti. Aw, not so much. That is moving. Oh, dude, that's so stupid. He's shaking again. He's shaking again. He's shaking. Oh, my God. His hands are shaking. He's got it on a fork. It looks so disgusting, dude. Oh, my God. That looks so disgusting. Rob, does it stink? Yeah. It's like bloody squid. Oh, my gosh. Eddie, you're supposed to have your voice back, remember? I forgot. Rob, it's calamari. Who cares? It's not calamari, though. Yeah, it's calamari. So Rob doesn't even like calamari. Pretend it's seafood spaghetti. You're good.
You're good. That sounds so gross. And you're good. Start eating it so this bit can end. Oh, I hate this bit so much. I don't think I can, bro. All right, I'll talk you through it. I'll be positive. Just think of it as... Fish guts. I mean, no, no, no. No, no, no. Don't think of it like that. Don't eat into that. Think of it as bait. Chum. Microsoft is just rolling up to heckle. Dude, let me tell you something. If that was chum, the sharks would be like, they're good. No, thank you. Not so hungry. We pass. We just ate. Oh, Rob. Oh, look at Rob making a face. I don't know that he's going to be able to do this one. Tell him to pretend it's spaghetti. Pretend it's spaghetti. No, gummy worms, gummy worms, gummy worms. All right, do it, do it, and let's be done with it. Oh, my God. He's shaking more than ever. I love when he shakes. Here we go, here we go. Gummy worms, gummy worms, gummy worms. There it goes in his mouth. It's hanging out of his mouth. He's just holding it there. He's just holding it there. He's not chewing. He can't even bite. Oh, no.
Chew it. Chew it. It's got to be so rubbery. Just your body revolting against it. Ignore that. Chew it harder. He's got an awful look on his face. It's going to take him a while to get that down. He's got saliva pouring out of his mouth. He's got saliva pouring out of his mouth. Chew it. Chew it. He's chewing it. He's banging my eyes. He looks like he's in pain. He looks like he's in pain. He's covering his eyes. He's covering his eyes with his left hand. He doesn't want to chew it anymore. And he doesn't want to swallow it. And you can't get it down. I mean, you know, the consistency is like rubber. Oh, he's gagging. Rob, what's it taste like? What's it taste like, Rob? What's it taste like? Like crush it. Like crush it? How do you know what? What does it taste like? Oh, it tastes like the bottom of the ocean. Oh, the bottom of the ocean. Very briny. Oh, God, there he goes. Ew. Get it down, bro. Forget the ink. I'm sorry about that one. I'm sorry about that one. I can't watch that. He's spitting. I don't even think he ate it. Do you think he should eat another piece? He ate mostly tentacles. He should eat the body. My body is rejecting it.
My body's rejected. It's not your body, it's your stomach, and it's only because it hasn't had food in a week. You should be hungry. You should be starving. It's like those people on Survivor when they eat a pizza like pizza or chocolate cake. Yeah, their body's like, whoa, we haven't had food for so long. But he's emancipated. That's a good point. Should he have one more piece? Well, this is the only chance he's going to get to visit South Korea. I don't want to go to South Korea. I want to go home. You're getting cultured, dude. I don't want culture. Think of all the stories you can tell your grandkids. He looks so sad out there. He just keeps spitting. He looks like a dog he just beat with the news. What did that rank on the list? That was the worst one. No way. Really? No. Oh, come on. All right, I'm not going to make it. That was the worst tasting, and it started to crunch like I could feel it. All right. All right, one more piece. Yes! One more piece, and then that's it. Get a good hunk. Come on, have another piece of Sanakti. Sanakti.
Sanochi. Sanochi. Sanochi. Oh, he's got it. No, he's got it. He's got it. Oh, that's sick. Linguini. We're watching it hanging from... We're watching it hanging from the fork. It's like undercooked spaghetti. You know how it will crunch in your mouth? I'm not going to... You know what it looks like to me? Honestly. Honestly. It looks like... It looks like he took a white plastic fork and he dipped it into... And he stuck it into a white styrofoam container of night crawlers. And he's going fishing for trout. And he pulled out the night crawlers, and they were, like, doused in red. Blood. Bloody night crawlers. I hate this, man. Wow. Bon appétit, Rob. Guys, going to a happy place. Yeah, you're going to South Korea. Happy place. Happy South Korean place. Here he goes, here he goes, here he goes. He goes to his mouth and then he stops. It's like your body knows you shouldn't jump off a building. Rob, look at me. You do this. Put it in your mouth. Down. You can do it. You can do it. Don't leave it sitting there. Chew it real quick and get it down. Stop eating what? It's not good for me. That's not what I heard. Go ahead.
What? Andy. Here we go. Oh, it's in the mouth. There you go. Chew, chew, chew. Chew, chew, chew, chew. He's doing so fast. Slow. There you go. It worked and I got the biggest smile on my face to hear you in the game. 105.3. When was the last time you went shopping and got cash back? Woo! At Mossy Nissan, you pick the car, you keep the cash. You guys have been dating two years and he's been working late. Christine, I need you to be very quiet, okay? Okay. This is Mark's... Hi, Mark. My name is Steve, and I'm calling from the Orion Hotel, San Diego's newest premier high-rise hotel located in the heart of the gas lamp. How are you this morning? Good, man. How's it going? Good. Someone you know has entered you into a drawing that allows you to spend one evening for free in our hotel, and all I need to do from you is get the name of the guest, and I'll put that on the inset of the card, and we'll print both of your names there. For her, just put Sky, and... You make sure there's some ham in the gift basket. Okay. Oh, no. Well, thank you for letting us know that Mark is a listener. Well, so Mark, I mean, is this... Where are you at? I think you need to shut your mouth. He's at Nordstrom. Okay. Tell me she doesn't need to shut up. Okay, we'll see.
The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. I just came in here asking for a soda. We don't have any. I'll buy him one. He's got a mouth full of bad flavor. You got something in your mouth? Like bad taste or something? Really? Oh, that's weird. You doing all right over there, little guy? The first Apprentice, where we had to eat the cockroach.
Yeah. And my body physically... Revolted. Like, rejected it. Like, Blender kept yelling at me, you gotta swallow it, you gotta swallow it, but my throat, like, shut off. Right. Shut off, wanted to just spit it out because it was, like, moving and crunching things and... All the pus. Alright. Alright, enough. No, I'm not high-fiving you. Oh, I thought you wanted a high-five. That's the only thing I can compare that to. That was really... It really was that bad? On that level. You want me to go find it and... Bring it in here. You're going to have a little bite? I don't think it would be that bad. I never want to do that. I want to know how much it would take for you to try that. Leave me out of it. I'm no part of that. Yeah, Skye. She won't even need a Big Mac, dude. Skye, $1,000. I laugh in that face. Even though you're poor, $1,000 means a lot more to Skye than it does to you. That's true. She would do it for $1,000. What are you talking? Crisp. $20 bills. No one. Like how much? Like what will the money feel like? Can you describe it? In my hand? Are we talking U.S. dollars or yen? The form of a bond? Yes. Can this be an IRA or how are you going to? What's up? How are you executed? What is up? Honeybake dollars. What is happening? My name's Sky. What's happening? I don't understand the question. How much do I have to eat? What he ate.
One bite or two bites? He ended up doing two. I'll say one. How much would a toss cost? That first forkful. Yeah, both. Which was hideous, Skye. Eight to ten tentacles. You don't have to remind me. I saw it. Oh, man. A thousand dollars? And I have to swallow it? Yeah. Oh, come on. You did? Yeah, I'm keep perving it up. I don't know, man. Oh, come on. Skye, you would do it for a thousand. Hmm. I think she'd do it for less. I should have started lower. Oh, really? Like $500? I think I should have said $500. Yeah. This might be a more interesting bit with Sky if you say, how low will you go? Yeah. I always start where I think, you know, because... Because just considering it right now is making my mouth water. And I hate throwing up. Like, I cry. Because I always salivate over money. Mm-hmm. That's not what I'm saying. Yes, that's not what's making me salivate. Ramsey, get my money, babe. Money, babe? You're dumb. You're so dumb. Ramsey, fetch the drool mug. The what? It's made of gold. Yes, you know, the mug that we get when we drive by banks. We have one in the glove compartment. I'm getting all lightheaded talking about money. Ramsey, we're about to pass a Washington Mutual. Reach into the glove box and get me the drool cup. Smells like me.
Love the smell of me in the morning. Smells like Ben Franklin. $500. $500? I don't want to say. Done. I think it's a done deal. Did you not? I mean, it's a moment on your lips. She'd do it for $500? That is insane, man. I don't, I don't. She really likes money. $500, guy. Like, I want to, I'm leaning towards no. That's not enough. $700? But then it would be different with all that money in front of me. So five in front of you would be different. So if he laid out $100, $200, $300, $400, $500 right in front of you. It'd be too much to resist. I'm not kidding you. If I had $500 on me right now, it would be worth it to see her try that. I'd chip in. For real, man. For sure. Let's raise it. Let's raise some money. Shut up.
Oh, yes. Come on. One P1 to call in right now with the five bills to see her eat that. Disgusting. Someone's got it. I didn't say I'd do it. Oh, don't try to make it a higher amount. I never agreed to the 500. You're right there. You can do it. I don't want to do it. Let Rob do it. He needs the money more. He just did. He just did it. Okay, so you want to hear this audio of T.O. and Keyshawn Johnson getting into it? This is the best. Now, we should probably set this up. What happened? Dude, I don't know anything, and I don't know if these clips are in order or what. Here's the deal. On Sunday, whatever it's called, Sunday Countdown, the pregame show for ESPN last Sunday, Keyshawn Johnson basically talked to the camera, talking to T.O., basically telling him to shut up. about Bill Parcells and don't bring up Bill Parcells anymore because I guess T.O. has made some comments about how this is a new team without Bill Parcells and blah, blah, blah. And so Keyshawn was telling T.O. to shut up about that. And so it got back to T.O. and then T.O. had a lot to say to Keyshawn. Now, have you seen this audio sheet, Eddie? I haven't seen the audio sheet, but I've seen the clips. Yeah, I basically took the clips.
In order? Yeah. Okay, cool. Let's take a listen. Cut 39. He's going to be a hater and do whatever he can to kind of throw me on the bus, obviously, because, you know, he and Bill are real good friends. And, you know, he'll try. I mean, nobody would even know he won the Super Bowl unless you check the roster. My thing is we came out the same year. He was the first rounder. I was the third rounder. I'm still playing. He's not. You compare our stats up until the time that he retires. It's a no-brainer. Up until the time that he retires. Now, is he talking? So he's talking about Keyshawn Johnson. He's not talking to Keyshawn Johnson. Is that the deal? Correct. Okay, so he's just responding to the things Keyshawn said. Correct, yeah. Okay, cut 40. Here's a guy that writes a book, give me the damn ball, 106 catches and one touchdown. And that was off a tip pass. What is he talking about? Wow. 106 catches. The year he wrote that book, Just Throw Me the Damn Ball. Gotcha. I guess he caught 106 receptions, but only had one touchdown. And, you know, so he's basically like, this guy's a joke. Listen, keep my mouth shut. Oh, okay. Cut 41. It's not a matter of, you know, me giving or not giving Bill credit. You know, everybody wanted to make this big deal about, you know, this is a team that he's built. You know, it doesn't matter. If you have a house.
And you design it one way and you have a new designer to come in, it's a whole new look. Yeah, I guess there's nothing unfair about that necessarily. I guess that's a pretty accurate thing to say. Cut 42. A lot of people just don't want to give credit for what Wade has done and what wasn't done last year. And that's it. And I'm not trying to be negative or trying to point out Bill, but the thing is, the proof is in the pudding. The deal is that you can say anything you want to say about T.O. He's a monster on that field. He's a monster on that field. And last year, he had a lot of drop balls. But listen, I'll take him. I'll take T.O. He's a good football player. He's been quiet most of the year. This is the first time he's kind of popped off. So it's kind of interesting. He is a good football player. And years from now, when Jake's older and T.O.'s not playing anymore,
You know, you'll watch film with T.O. and you'll go, yeah, he was a big man. He was a, he was a, he's a big guy. Large receiver. With big hands. And when he catches the ball, he does things that other guys don't do when they catch the ball. Other guys catch the ball and they get tackled. And T.O. has a tendency to catch the ball and take it to what they call the, take it what they call the Hizu. Yeah. Oh, Hizu. Yeah, he takes it to what they call the Hizu. Right. The Hizouse. Ah. This is what I'm trying to tell you. Cut 43. I challenge him to come out of retirement and try to come take my position. DSPN, the producer, let him go. Let him go. Wow. I can't wait till Sunday when Keyshawn responds to this. Oh my goodness. He did. That's your next cut. The next cut is Keyshawn? Yeah. Come on.
This is Keyshawn Johnson responding to it. Cut 44. T.O.'s situation, he's not going to win versus an old legendary icon coach in the National Football League. Most people are going to take his side in the situation. So I wanted to let T.O. know, I've been in a similar situation with John Gruden. Just let it go. Leave it alone. You're having a great football season. And go ahead and go out there and help your team try and win the Super Bowl. But obviously, very obvious. He didn't understand from an adult-like standpoint what I was saying. Next time I'll explain it to him in more elementary terms and maybe he will understand. What does that mean? Does that mean, because I'll tell you, I could have taken it the wrong way. And I'm being completely honest. I could have taken it the wrong way. But it kind of sounded challenging like. Next time I see you, maybe I'll explain it. No, I think he's just making it seem like T.O.'s stupid. Yeah, T.O.'s too dumb to understand what I was saying. You're too dumb to understand the words that are coming out of my mouth. Which, to me, this whole thing, it sounds like Keyshawn's making a bigger deal about it than anybody else is. I haven't even really heard what T.O. said about Bill Parcells. And if he's popping off about Bill Parcells, it sounds like Keyshawn's the one that's making this into a big story. Okay.
I'll tell you the most uncomfortable person right now is Bill Parcells. Yeah. Because on Sunday, he's got to be like, yeah, well, thank you for defending me. Whatever he's going to say. What are you going to say? I'm sure he doesn't want to talk about that. Let's see. Yesterday, Britney Spears called in sick for the deposition she was supposed to show up to. Now, think about this. This is a deposition with Kevin Federline, her ex-husband's lawyers. And what they want to talk about is... What they want to ask her under oath is, do you do drugs? Have you ever, well, have you ever, have you ever, have you ever, have you ever, under oath? Now, when I say under oath, a lot of you people go, who cares? What does it matter? She's Britney Spears. She'll lie. Well, hang on a minute. Most of these questions they're asking, they're going to have video proof of, but they're going to ask her anyway. Are you an erratic driver?
No, y'all. Do you ever run red lights with children in the car? Here you go. No. Okay. You understand you're under oath? Yeah. What's oath? It means that what you're saying right now, you believe to be the truth. So it's going to be tough. It's going to be tough because there's video evidence of so many things. And yeah, she doesn't want to go. She doesn't want to go. But I said to my wife last night, I said, if somebody calls in sick, to a deposition, do the attorneys and the arbitrator that are there for the deposition have a responsibility by law to accept that? Kind of like, you know, the kind of laws where you're pregnant and so you can't be fired because you're pregnant. If you're sick, you can't be punished if you're sick. I don't know the answer to that. That's why I'm asking. Or can an arbitrator potentially say, when I take your history into account, I believe that this is a lie and
pow yeah well from what i read this morning because this is the fifth time she has um you know flaked out or dodged or came up with some excuse not to attend uh her deposition under oath and so the judge said that uh it's been rescheduled for next month and you know if she misses next month there will be legal consequences k feds attorney cut 19 i was notified shortly after 10 o'clock this morning that the The petitioner was not appearing today due to some illness. Yeah, and FYI, Brittany was photographed hanging out last night at 2 o'clock in the morning by the Puppets. Oh, come on. She's not well right now. Yeah, so I don't know if you're so sick why you're rolling up to the Four Seasons at 2 o'clock in the morning. What? So sad. So sad. Come on. Yeah. Haven't they...
Photographed her going to the Four Seasons before? Oh, yeah. They refer to it as her home away from home. The Four Seasons. Yeah, she hangs out there all the time, eats there, drinks there, gets rooms there. What do you do with the Four Seasons? Stuff. Why don't you do it at home? You don't take your kids, right? What are you doing? If it's drugs, why isn't she doing the drugs at home? I mean, I'm being serious. Maybe a drug dealer is not at your house. And maybe you don't want a drug dealer going to your house. That's a great point. Yeah. I didn't think of that. Crazy. What is the deal with, somebody says that her issues are caffeine related or something. Oh, yeah. A doctor was saying that he thinks, he or she, whoever the doctor is, thinks that Brittany is kind of like, you know, going crazy because of all the bad stuff she eats and drinks. Like all the caffeine, all the sugar, all the grease and trans fats is like sending her hormones out of whack and making her act like a crazy person. Not potentially drugs and alcohol? Well, they don't reference that. They just reference everything she's seen eating and drinking. All of these problems can be traced back to Carl's Jr. And Starbucks. Yes, they can be traced back to Carl's Jr. and Starbucks. Don't forget food coloring. And the food coloring. I had not thought. Get a fine fish on the line. Get him on now. Hannah Montana. This is Miley Cyrus. It's Siley Miley Cyrus. Stop it.
Well said. Got it right the first time. She added 14 more dates to her tour. Now, check this out. That's crazy! So crazy. The reason is because, you know, it's not enough money to be generated. Right. Would you like to know an estimation? These are estimates. Estimated sales of Hannah Montana merchandise. Oh. Eddie, take a guess. Well, last weekend was my niece's birthday, and she got, a bunch of Hannah Montana stuff that she freaked out about. Oh, yeah. And I know that stuff isn't the cheapest stuff in the world. I'm going to write down... Sky knows. So I'm going to write down what you guys... You gave it to me, right? You gave it to me. Oh, but I didn't look. Are we talking just at the shows or just in general? Estimated sales of Hannah Montana merchandise. So that must be everything. I will say... Holy moly. Seven million.
You don't want to add a point or anything like that? Just 7 mil? I'll say 7 million. Sean? I will say 5.5 million. 5.5 mil? Yes. Sky? Oh, gosh. I was thinking way higher, but... You could be right. I don't know. I feel like I went low. I'm going to say like 15 million. Ashley? Sky took mine, so I'll say 11.4 million. Rob. 22 mil. Zethi and Oates. 19 mil. I'm going to say... Zeth, how much? 19. Dollars? Million. Boston Rob was the closest. Yes. Because he guessed the highest amount. He guessed 22 million. It's more than that? Well, after they have taken everything into account,
Okay? And we're not talking about the United States. We're talking about, globally, Hannah Montana merchandise. It should not surprise you that the estimated sales of Hannah Montana merchandise is $26 billion. What? No. $26 billion. What? This guy has her hand over her mouth. That, to me, seems absolutely 100%. Because you're talking about... Yeah. It's garbage. I mean, it's a shocking figure. And by the way, this comes from TV Guide. So if that kid has 1% of her merchandise? 1%. We're talking about $260 million if she has 1%. And she knows she's got more than that. I believe that's right. I'm trying to find out why. She could be a billionaire. I believe that it would be $260 million would be 1% of that. Just because she has that TV show, right? And then she's touring around now. Oh, yeah, man. She's the biggest thing out there. Because I watched the show. You've got to realize, it's as enormous as it gets. It's a phenomenon. And it's so insane because I watch the show and it's just like your basic little kid show, like teeny bopper show. And I don't see what's so special about it. It's crazy. It's garbage. I don't get it. We'll be back. Mike was here. The Mikey Show continues. Next.
Mike is a f***ing rock 105.3. Folks, I'll just take a few questions, then I need to get back to the kitchen. Todd, The Daily Napkin, huge night here at Rubio's. As manager, how much of tonight's success do you attribute to putting enchiladas in the lineup? Well, I think it's obvious that the enchiladas make us stronger. They've elevated our roster, and they're going to be a go-to dish. Todd, fork and knife news. Could you tell us more specifically what these enchiladas bring to the table? Well, the char-grilled chicken, slow-roasted carnitas, and two-cheese enchiladas all have their own strengths. But I think the magic for each of them is in the sauce. Fire-roasted tomatoes, toasted chilies, garlic, onions, spices. It's a powerful combination. Yeah, Todd, flavor illustrated. You just used the words powerful and magic to describe the sauce. Todd, is the sauce really juice? Huh? Are these enchiladas juiced tonight? How is it possible that they're this good time? And they are pretty yummy time. For a limited time, enchiladas are back at Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill. Four delicious choices, two per plate. With Rubio's Fire Roasted Sauce, they're way beyond ordinary. And they're only at Rubio's. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last...
May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Curti Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on Costco mattress. My sleep chain was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something, so they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? It's awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Thank you. You got it. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. I was wondering what was going on there. I've never seen somebody play the ukulele with. Can you throw out the ukulele pick? Yeah. But where does the new pick come from? I have it taped to the ukulele. Okay, cool, cool. Must be big sellers on eBay.
Yeah, they are, man. They're crazy. Welcome back. It's 9-0-7. Ike Turner died yesterday at his San Marcos home. He was 76 years old. Everybody excited about Thursday night football tonight? We got Denver against Houston. To the 35, to the 30. To the 25, to the 20. Latest USA Today poll says to the 15. Early exit polls have them at the 5. That's a touchdown. Oh. Well, my peepers. Welcome back. I'm Brian Gumbel with Thursday Night Football. What you've just witnessed is a touchdown worth approximately six points in the NFL. Sounds exciting. In just a moment, Vinatieri will try to kick what will amount to a point after attempt. The kick is up. It's good. That's now seven points. It's the worst. It's time for this.
Yes. It's time for Eddie's picks. Come on. Yes. Yes. Up against the Charger girls pick. Yes. Yes. Or maybe pick who's it's time. Versus the Chargers girls on the Mikey Show. What is going on here? Guess no one wanted to join me today. Aw. Apparently. Ladies and gentlemen, in the studio, the Charger girl. Nice. Solo. Listen, you got a great personality. You're enough for two people. Oh, you're so sweet. It's going to be great. Let me tell you something. Tell me something. I have said, we got to get her in here to do like stuff on a regular basis. I'd enjoy that. It would be great. It would be. I got to figure it out because she has this. She's a very outgoing personality. Tell me you did. But I did. Awesome. All right. It is time. It is time for picks. It's time for Eddie's picks. I've heard that. The Oracle. Right. Up against the Charger girl. Up against the Charger girl. Okay. So, Chantel, you are going to be, well, first of all, before we get into anything, let's talk about last week. What happened last week? I got to tell you, these Charger girls are tough competition. I mean, they had an amazing, amazing week. Keep it coming. Keep it coming. Charger girls went 30.
15-3. That's what we do. 15-10. I mean, you really got to look at that and be impressed. That's pretty awesome. How about you? How did you do? Oh, I went 15-1. Okay. Okay. 15-1. You only lost one game? One game. Way to go. Do you remember which one it was? I do. What? It was the Houston-Tampa Bay game. Wow. Well, nice job. Okay. Oh, thank you. You're welcome. I'm kind of running away with this now. Oh, shut up. Now you're really taking it too far now. I said, you know, good job. Just take it and leave it there. At this point, is it even fair? Oh, shut up. I don't know. I'm asking you. I don't know if you want to tap out at this point. I don't tap out. Okay, girl. That's not an option. No throwing in the towel? No. It's not an option. All right. We got you. Did you hear I went 15 and 1? I heard you. I'm right here next to you. All right, let's do this. Why does Eddie talk that way whenever Chantel is in the studio? What do you mean? What do you mean? What I'm talking about is he gets so ghetto. He turns into, I don't know what it is, but all of a sudden he's like, girl, what's going on? What is it? For a second, I thought I was on the Oprah show, Chantel. I don't know what's going on. What is it? It ain't like that.
Is it because of this? Is that what happened? Chantal, if I want to watch you on TV this weekend, what side of the stadium, where do you start? Because you guys move around the stadium. Where do you start? I start on home side scoreboard. Home sign scoreboard. Yes. Yeah, I got it. I got it. I know exactly what you're talking about. And then you move throughout the entire game. Yes. Is it by quarter? Yes, it is. I got you. I got you. Getting hot in here. So hot. Thank you. So take off all your clothes. Well, that's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. All right. Let's start with tonight's game. Chantel, Denver at Houston. Houston. All right. Eddie? Go on set. Go on. Come on. I'm waiting. Come on. That surprises me. I thought you would have gone with Denver, but I'll take Houston as well. Oh, hmm. Interesting. I've already set my picks in, so I ain't playing. Okay. Eddie, Cincinnati at San Francisco. Oh, come on. Yeah, that's a joke of a game. And that's on Saturday, right? Yes. Saturday the 15th, yes. Wow. I won't be watching that. I'll take Cincinnati. All right. And Chantel? I will as well. Wow. You guys are in agreement.
Charger Girl. Remember when she picked Pittsburgh last week over the Patriots? Look, I told you I was just trying to, you know, go out the box and give them a little oomph. Yes, you thought it would be upset. Remember that, Rob? Oh, yeah, I remember. Oh, yeah, we don't need anyone to back me up. I know what I said. Okay, got it. All right, Charger Girl. I'm ready. Jacksonville at Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh. Eddie. Come on. The Steelers, of course. Yeah. Eddie Atlanta at Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay. Charger Girl. Tampa Bay. Charger Girl Seattle at Carolina. I'm going to go with Seattle. Eddie. Seattle. Eddie Green Bay at St. Louis. Come on. Press Favre, homie. Hello. You know what's up. No need to even ask me. Magic man. Chantel, you're Green Bay too? Yes. All right, Chantel. Baltimore at Miami. Okay. This was a toss-up. Do it. I'm just saying. Miami's got to win the game soon. Come on. This is the week. This is the week. They can't go undefeated. I mean, come on. I mean, defeated. The whole season long, right? Come on. I'm just praying for it. Are you calling it? I'm calling it. You're taking Miami? Wow. Yeah. You're crazy. I love it. Eddie. She's got rocks, but I'm taking Baltimore. All right. They've got to win one soon. No, no. They don't have to. They need to. How about that one? All right. Eddie, the Jets at New England. Hmm.
I wonder what that's going to be. It's going to be tough. Take a minute. Think about it. The Jets. Depends on who has the better video camera. That's true. I'm going to go out on a limb and take the Patriots. Me too. Solid picks. Me too this week. Chantel, Arizona at New Orleans. Okay, New Orleans got their passing game, but I'm going to go with Arizona. Eddie. Come on. I will take New Orleans. Really? Yes. Gotta take the home team on that one. Got another disagreement. I like this. Eddie Buffalo at Cleveland. Lots of playoff implications in this one, Mike. I'm taking Cleveland to win this one. Me too. I didn't want you to go with me. That's right. Chantel, Tennessee at Kansas City. Okay, look. This was rough. Oh, man. I'm nervous. Check it out. I mean, we beat the Titans up, but Casey has lost two in a row. But I'm feeling it that they're just going to bring it home this weekend. Who? Kansas City. Eddie. Wow. I'm going to have to take Tennessee, Mike. Got another disagreement. We do. Eddie, Indianapolis at Oakland. No brainer. Going to take the Colts. Chantel. The Colts. Next one's tough.
Detroit at San Diego. That is tough. I wonder who the Charger girls are going to take. I wonder. Chantel, I'm guessing the Lions. You're wrong. You're going to go with the Chargers? Yes. You're going to go with the Chargers. Eddie? You know what? I actually think the Chargers are going to boat race the Lions this week. I'm going to take the Chargers on the big one. Now, does that mean that it's going to be a blowout? Yes. Or do you believe the Chargers will blow them out? Yes. Eddie Philly? You don't want all those injuries. It doesn't matter. We'll be fine. Won't matter. Don't worry about that. Philly at Dallas, Eddie. Dallas. Chantel? Dallas. Chantel, the Redskins at the Giants. The Giants. Eddie? The Giants. One last game. Eddie, Chicago at Minnesota. Come on. This was going to be my upset special. I'm feeling something here, but I'm going to take Minnesota just to play it safe. Chantel? As am I. All right, three games. Okay. Wow. Three games. It comes down to three games you guys have disagreed on. Three more in my favor. Eddie took Baltimore. Let's just... Chantel says that Miami will win their first game against Baltimore. Come on. That's gutsy. I'm sitting on my mojo. In Miami. Eddie took New Orleans at home. Chantel took the visiting Cardinals. That's it. That's a pick-em game. Eddie took the Titans.
And Chantel took KC at home. I did. Wow. These are going to be good. I'm going to really be watching these. You make sure you do. Oh, wow. Listen, I have never... I am really... I'm going to be at the game this weekend. Yay. I'm going to find you out there and I'm going to see how you dance. I want to see if your dancing is as good as the personality. Oh, you... Love your personality? Believe me. How long have you been dancing? Probably since I came out the womb. I've been on the team six years, though. Really? Yes. Wow. And you've got to earn it every year. You're a veteran. Every year. Yeah, true, huh? Do you haze the rookies? No. Wow, that... That was interesting. If I know you meant yes, then... How old are you, Chantelle? You don't. 25. Hmm, I like that. Are you 25? I'll take it. You're not? You're older? Are you older than 25? I am. No, come on. Wow. I promise. I would like you. 26. Why you gotta get up in our business? Yeah, for real though, you're never supposed to ask a lady her age. What? You're never supposed to ask older women their age. You can ask young girls their age. Come on. Do you keep it a secret? Not really. 27. 26. No, you were right. Way to go. 27? Yes. I wouldn't, I wouldn't get, I wouldn't. Why does he do that? Why does he do it? Don't make me. There it comes. We'll have been to something more comfortable, like a coma.

A sale unlike any other is underway with the guaranteed lowest prices of the year at Courtesy Chevrolet. Chevy trucks, Corvettes, everything marked down to their lowest prices of the year. Courtesy Chevrolet in Mission Valley. Sale ends this Sunday. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Mikey Morning Show. It's genius in its stupidity.
K-I-O-Z, San Diego's rock. Mycricket.com slash San Diego. Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. We do a segment called Tough Love with Eddie where people will write us and ask Eddie questions. Dear Eddie, so I have a very, very, very minor dandruff problem. But I'm just curious if that would be a deal breaker, signed Sarah. Eddie? Dear Condoleezza Lice. Ow! Ow! I have four words for you. That's disgusting. Two words. Yes, bug head. Shedding your scalp is a deal breaker. I mean, how am I supposed to take you to dinner when you're crop dusting my steak? The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. That was a missing gift.
Fatty Gibb. You know, they didn't want to put me in the credits because I obviously couldn't be on stage. But, you know, I still had points on the record. So I harmonized with all the brothers. Me and Maurice, actually, probably our voices clicked the most. Well said. Did I give the time yet? No. It's 924. Mitt Romney is making a campaign fundraising stop this afternoon in San Diego. The Cubs declined a contract offer to Mark Pryor, making him a free agent. I'm not down with Mitt. No, you're over it? I'm over Mitt Romney, man. I don't know about that guy. Why? I get too much of this. Well, let me answer that. Too much of that. Think he's going to try and sell you a car? Or try to talk me down on my contract because he's the general manager of the radio station? Start telling you that he needs to play more commercials? Yes, because he looks like every general manager I've ever had in radio. Either that, or if Mattel was putting out
Ken's father, it would be Mitt Romney. I'm going to start calling him Mitt Romney. By the way, I've been watching so many, so much of the debates. I've basically seen all the GOP debates. And I've been watching so many of them, but I'm starting to pick up patterns. And I believe with 90% certainty, Who Huckabee would ask to be his vice president, his running mate. Who? There's no doubt in my mind it will be Senator John McCain. Their boys? What he does is, in the debates, he shares a lot of his views and he's very vocal about it. He doesn't say that he shares anyone else's views except for John McCain. Interesting. It's really interesting. And you only get it when you watch him.
Like, you see one debate, you hear it, and you go, whatever. But that'd be a heck of a ticket. Maybe McCain will ask him to be his running mate. Yeah, you ever think of that, Mike? It could be. You know, they keep asking Huckabee. I keep seeing this in interviews with Huckabee, because I've seen all the interviews on YouTube. I watch them all. And they keep asking Huckabee, who would... No, they say, would you... Out of all the candidates, which candidate could you see yourself being a vice president for if they got the nomination? And he says, I won't even go there. I would like to think that I'll be asking someone to be my vice president. He doesn't think in that way. That's fine with me. I wouldn't want to. I mean, even to answer the question, I think, is saying, you know, I don't want to hear him say that. Even if he's not my guy, which he is, I'd be like,
Now you just put me in a different frame of mind. Now I see you in a different way. But he has come off like a leader the whole time. Wasn't there a change with Hillary, you said? Or, Sky, did you not say that? Maybe I read that. About the polls? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The standing in the polls, yeah. Hillary was, I want to say, about 10 points ahead of Obama. But just recently, in the latest poll, they're neck and neck now. Really? Yeah. The terrorists? Sean. Yeah, his name is Barack Obama Bin Laden. Out of all people. Which is so weird. I mean, this guy. Wow. With a long beard and the whole thing. He's running on the terror ticket. Sean, did you flip parties on me? Cut three. Oprah Winfrey. On Barack Obama. At the end of the day, I'm really glad I did it. At the end of the day, I'm really happy I had that experience. But it's the most exhausting process. I don't know how you do that every day. you know, five, six times a day. I only do two cities a day. I don't know how you do that and remain sane. She's talking about campaigning for him. Are you interested in running for government office, Oprah? Cut six.
Secretary of Education in an Obama administration? I don't think there's a position in government that really anybody could offer to me, anybody could offer to me, that would be more interesting or compelling than what I'm doing already. I kind of like my job. I'll do your show while you're going. I like my job, and I'm not interested in being a part of government at all. I'm going to ignore what you just said. Subject is Keyshawn Johnson. What a joke this guy is. I know he's defending Bill because Keyshawn would have been playing ball in Canada if it wasn't for Bill Parcells. But he needs to shut the hell up. Of all people, Keyshawn should not be talking about anyone's intelligence. P1, Keyshawn will never be in the hall. T.O. will. That's his own feelings. Subject is legitimate question for Zeth. Oh, no. Hi, I have a legitimate question for Zeth. What's worse, being yelled at by Ashley to the point of crying or the fact that she's also the biggest airhead in the greater San Diego area? I think the biggest problem is... What? What was the problem? Hold on, what? Oh, it's clear. The biggest problem is... Well, no, you weren't clear. Zeth, did you just see Zeth?
Seth just walked into the studio right now with food and he just put his hands up like, I come back to this. I'm not even in the room. I just walked into this. Come on. Come on. What? What was that last part? I didn't even hear the story of that one. Don't what? Huh? Well, it's got nothing on that. Let me tell you something. Our Best Dev CD is out there for pre-order, and you can get to it. Just go to mikeyshow.com or rock1053.com and type in the word furry. Pre-orders are going to start shipping on Tuesday. It's only $9.99. Awesome. Can you tell them what to do?
All proceeds are going to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Did you guys hear me during the commercial break ask Ashley if I had permission to go to the restroom? Yeah. She said no. Well, maybe next week. I hope so. Good luck. Pressed the microphone. I said, please, Ms. Ashley. I've been instant messaging her for the last 20 minutes. She won't respond to me. I did too. I just did. She finally responded to me and said, I'm a little busy over here. Yeah. I said, I'm sorry. Well, he was asking me a question that had nothing to do with work. That's true. And I was slammed. I was insane. She's right. You were in the weeds. And he was, like, bugging me, like, literally trying to get my attention, like, to ask me this question that had...
nothing to do with work. How unprofessional. And I'm slammed busy. Can't see straight busy and have three minutes to get it. We're in the weeds. Does he not get it? Everything. He's just sitting there through the glass poking at me. Crazy. Do you mean when I was typing in all caps, ASH! Yes. ASH, can you hear me? Are you being robbed? Are you being robbed? Yeah, I said, I go, Ashley, can you not respond right now because someone's committing a crime? Oh, you're trying to help her. ASH! You can't respond. She was working. She was busy. It was obvious. You could tell by the body language. Type 1 if you are safe. Type 2 if you need me to call for help. Can you hear me? Stop it. Ash, can you hear me? We're also doing something called Secret Santa. This is so cool. Secret Santa's awesome, man. The reason that we're doing it is because we know that there's a lot of people in need right now. Around the holidays, there's a lot of people in need. And so what we're doing is we're inviting you to go to Mikey show.com and you'll see a banner there for secret Santa. And all you got to do is click on that banner and you need to tell us in a hundred words or less. 500. Well, it's 500 letters. It'll come out to about a hundred words. You got to tell us, you got to tell us if you know someone that's in need, if you're in need and you got to tell us about it.
So you could type in the word Santa. By the way, Ashley is now instant messaging me back about the topic that I was asking her that had nothing to do with the show. But we're on. And now we're on. But wait, isn't it the same exact thing as you IMing me when I was working? It was during commercial, though. But isn't it the same exact thing? Well, I didn't know that you were not busy. I didn't know you were busy. It was during commercial. What does that mean? I thought you worked in the restaurant business. When you're like behind, when you're slammed, you get that all at once and you're behind. I thought you worked at Red Lobster or something. But wait a minute. But just so that I understand you correctly, what you're saying is, is that Is that the way to answer something that is wrong is to commit the same crime. Two wrongs make a right. You're saying two wrongs make a right. No. Because I was writing you about something. But you were just writing me like two seconds ago when we were in break. That's not true. Not when we were on the air. Yeah. I have it right here. Not when we were on the air. Yes, you did. Let me look. You wrote why right there.
Oh, I did type that. And so I was responding. You asked me why. I did. When we were on the air. I did. I apologize to her, Mike. God, you're unbelievable, dude. You're a monster. You're both in the weeds. She was in the weeds. Hang on. Apologize. I didn't type the word why. Just put the letter. Apologize. What do you want from me? You're a monster. Unbelievable. All right, I'm sorry that two wrongs made a right. That's not an apology accepted. You are listening to The Mikey Show. Indeed, you are powerful. Rock 105.3. Your attention, please. Honey, I'm back. Hi, baby. Who was all here drinking beer while I was at my mom's? Nobody was here drinking beer. Oh, come on. Tell the truth. I saw the beer cans in the trash out front. Beer cans? Where? Show me. What do you call these? Those are cans of Tecate Light. That's not beer. That's cerveza. Oh, come on. Beer, cerveza. It's the same thing. No, no, no. Beer and cerveza is not the same thing. Of course it is. Is it the same thing if I say te quiero or I love you?
No, it's not the same. You see, just like amar, querer is not the same. Beer and cerveza is not the same either. I know what you mean. Sorry, honey. I love you. Te quiero. Tecate Light. Ambulance has been on the scene. Still some tow truck activity. Somebody in the guardrail, Caltrans on the scene to get that cleaned up. Otherwise, we're looking pretty much accident-free. There's still a tiny bit of slowing on that southbound 5 out of the north county off and on from Encinas Boulevard down toward Lomas Santa Fe. Over on the 15th, things look good a tiny bit there, but only a hiccup at Ted Williams Parkway. I'm Jeff Daly with Traffic on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, it's P1 Tommy. What's up, Tommy? Now back to the Mikey show with Mikey. I am extraordinarily sensitive to heat. Eddie. I'm a very bad guy. Sky. Thank you. Sky. There's girl in the air. Sean. I routinely forget to zip up my fly. Boss and Rob. I'm a go-getter. And Ashley. I don't watch the... What's so funny? Give us the time check. Do I... Oh, not yet. Hold on. Who's trying to run the show? Yeah. Come on. Rob has the con. My bad. My bad.
Sorry. It's 940. Britney Spears never showed up to her deposition yesterday. She ended up falling in sick at the last minute. Rob, the Atlanta Falcons appoint Emmett Thomas as their interim coach. The players are upset. I heard about that. Yeah. I think you have audio. I think I do as well. We'll get into that in a second. I don't want to tell you what to do. Thank you. You know what I'd like to talk about? What's that? What's that? Uh-oh. I heard something about Jake Peavy. Do you got anything on that? Well, yeah. We, you know. Oh. Oh, no. Get out. Oh, this is really. Wow, that's not awkward. But we were in the middle of. Mike, we were in the middle of talking. Hey, it's fun though. You even switched the headphones. What are you doing? What was Rob's talk? Jake Peavy. Oh, my gosh. Want to talk about Peavy's extension? That was the funniest thing that's ever happened. I should wait so I could hear it back. Oh, my gosh. I killed it, dude. It wasn't bad. What was funny is that Sky even tried to take over that show. Oh, Eddie. Now I know what you're dealing with. Well, he didn't give a time check yet. Was she a Mikey show terrorist? Yeah, pretty much. Hijacked the airport. She burst into the cockpit. Give me the controls. Imitating your movements. We're going to Afghanistan. Imitating my movements. Oh, yeah. He was like.
Shuffling the papers. Did I do that? That's what a good host does, right, Rob? Exactly. Professional, very pulled together, you know? A little trick of the trade, that's all. A little trick of the trade. Yep. Well said. All right. We have the top five best Christmas songs. Like of all time? I guess so, yeah. I guess the top five best Christmas songs and worst Christmas songs. Oh. Ooh. Wow. Number five. Oh, we're not guessing? You guys, yeah. You want to take guesses? I have the list. That's why I can't do it. It's got to be something from Bing Crosby, like White Christmas. Not in the top five. I was going to say worst. Let's see. I'm sure... Grandma got run over by a reindeer. Ooh. It's got to be the worst. Jingle Bells. Wait. Wait, wrong. The Singing Dogs. What? And Eddie, what was yours? Bing Crosby, White Christmas. Can you believe it's not in the top 20?
Wow. That's ridiculous. That's not in the top 12 best. What is it? Blue Christmas by Elvis. Ooh. Oh, yeah, it is. Yes, it is. It's number three. Best? Of the best. Ooh, I love it. Got any other ones? Got any other guesses? What about that Mariah Carey song? Oh, yeah. All I want for Christmas is you. And the worst? What? It is not on the list. The best. The best. That's a good one. It is not on the list. I've got that CD in my car right now. That's the one Sky from Love Actually, right? Well, Mariah Carey isn't on the soundtrack, Mike. If you were a fan, you would know that you have to get the British import to get the movie version, which is sung by some chick.
I told you all about that. I told you all about that. I informed you about... And then they play the Mariah Carey version. Lots of people think someone from the movie, but it's not. Oh, heck yeah. Oh, like an angel. Yeah. Question, Rob. What? Oh, don't ruin it. After the song. He loves Mariah Carey. Oh, she's singing it to me right now. Hush. In your opinion, Mariah Carey is the best female vocalist? Does anyone question that? I do. That's the real question. I absolutely disagree with that. Laugh in the face of that question, Mike. I say Mariah Carey is an amazing singer. The best. Extraordinarily talented. In fact, I think she's a unicorn. I put her in the unicorn category. What I mean by a unicorn is she's so freakishly talented that...
Hearing her sing is like watching a unicorn run down the street. You're like, whoa, look at that. But I don't think she's the best female vocalist. She's got a great voice. There's no doubt about it. The best, Mike. The best. But the best female. The best. Hands down. Please, Mike. Well, I assume we're all talking about the same person, right? My money, man. And it's Xtina. Oh, yeah. I'm with you. Nuh-uh. Had this fight with my girlfriend the other day. She thinks it's Christina, too? Yeah. Whatever. All right, Silent Night. That's what you needed to hear, right? That'll change your mind? By Xtina? By Xtina. Don't do that to this song. Just sing it. Oh, I like to hear her do the run. She's just making a bunch of noise. I like the runs, dog. I like the runs, dog. She has the runs. That's a pretty good voice, though.
Starting not off. Oh, come on, Rob. Yawn. Wow. Sky, what's the song that we always talk about, Christina Aguilera, where her voice is real... Oh, I know. Oh, yeah, Jeannie in a Bottle. This is the one where you hear her voice, you go, wow, she's freakish. She's freakish. Yesterday when I saw your face, you told me how proud you were. But I walked away all today. Yeah, her voice is so good, it's creepy. Stand on Christina Aguilera, Ashley. I think she's very talented, but she's not my favorite singer at all. At all. Ash, can you hear me? Okay, wait a minute. Now, let me phrase it differently. Let me ask you this question. She's not necessarily my favorite female vocalist. I'm saying I think that pound for pound, she's the best female vocalist.
I can't think of somebody that I believe has more talent in their vocal cords than this chick right here. Oh, dude. I believe that Mariah Carey is more talented than Christina Aguilera. Mariah would crush this song. Mariah has that set. She always brags about it. Like that seventh thing. No doubt about it. Octave. Octave. Octave. And she's able to hit that seventh. Most humans can't. Most humans can't. They can't. It's a science. It's the only dogs that can respond to it. Right. It is. I do know that... Well, listen. Mariah can hit those real crazy notes. No doubt about it. But is her voice... We'll give equal opportunity. Let's hear some Mariah. All right. Let's do it. Heartbreaker. I see Mariah all the way. Mariah all the way. Yeah, and she's so dynamic and virtual. Rob, what? Virtual? No, not virtual. Very, very virtual. What is... Versatile. Versatile. Yeah. Yeah. Listen to this. A lot of people can't hear this. She hits a note here. Mike, you got dead air going on right now. Turn your ears up. Oh, did you hear that in the background? Oh, what was that? I couldn't hear it. Exactly. Now, if you're asking the question, if the question is, who can hit higher notes? Mariah Karen.
There's no doubt about it. She hits higher notes. Better music. Better lyrics. We're not talking about music and lyrics. No, we're talking about all around. Talking about voice. Who's got better voice? Who's got better voice? She's got the sexiness going on. Come on, Mike. Hey, listen. Because you're attracted to her. Does not necessarily mean. It's not about that, Mike. They don't have. What? What, Rob? I wish I could do... How about this girl? I'm money. She's the best. Eddie says, for his though, Kelly Clarkson's got the best voice out there. Oh, this is Kelly Clarkson. What about Celine? Shut up. Whitney. Oh, I gotta throw... Hey, listen. The music's lame, but you gotta throw her in that mix for sure. And Whitney Houston. Yeah! What? Back in the day. I guess. It is me. Put on...
I will always love you and then go. She's right about that. Okay, one song she's got. But crack is what? Oh, yeah, just one song. What about the greatest love of all? Oh, wow. Didn't we almost have it all? What about Naina? What? What? 99 Luftballons? What are you talking about? Tony Basil? John? Eddie? Eddie? I can't even. It makes me want to vomit hearing the music. Oh, wow. Thank you. Oh, the music is just so boring. Picture it in a trailer. I'm trying to. I'm trying so I can get into it. Do you keep picturing Kevin Costner like me? Oh, come on. I will always love you. Let me tell you something. It's a good thing that this Whitney Houston was not around in the time of Christina and Mariah. Right? She'd get blown out of the water.
For her time, you know, when she was up against Cyndi Lauper, she killed it. And you know what? Do I not have the title right, I Will Always Love You? I have it here, and the version with her isn't in there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The version with Whitney Houston isn't in there. No, it sure is. You got the Dolly Parton one. I will always love you. Do I have to do everything? Really? Hang on, fatty. I'll sign it. Give me a second here. I'll do everything. I can't look. I'm looking. Hold on. He's looking at the same thing I'm looking at. Great. Gotta look up Whitney. I'm looking up Whitney. Let me hear it. Looking up. Oh, girl. Whatever. Now imagine Christina singing this. Oh, dude. Dude. Come on. Come on. Come on. That's a bore. Where'd she record this? Spelunking? Sounds like she's in the Batcave. Closer to the mic, stop singing from down the hallway. Yeah, no kidding. Step up. Give me a break. Oh, so impressive. Wow. Wow.
Lisa Lisa and the cult jam can sing better than this. Pretty poison? All right, thank you. What about this voice? That was a good time. What about I'm Every Woman by Whitney Houston? Oh, that's a good one. What about this voice? Yeah, Eddie's. Listen, we're all thinking of DMC right now, you know. What about this voice? Dude, she's got to be thrown in. Not up there, though. Are you guys there? Oh, no, I love her voice. Eddie and Rob. Great song. Voice-wise, you guys are not seeing it. No way. Not even close. It's that same kind of monotone to me. No real rage. My wife just burst into tears based on what you two said. Gorgeous song. Sorry. But, I mean, if you're talking vocally, it's good. It's not unicorn. Wow. Really? No way. Sky, you were the same thing, right? Yeah, I agree with guys. Whoa! Sean, where do you stand on McLaughlin? Not so much. It's good, but... Sorry. It's a real tough crowd. No Dixie chicks. Oh, what? See, same thing. That's getting below average now. Wow! You're starting to lose me. Fine. Lost. Okay, wait a minute. What about this chick? One more and then we gotta take a break. Tell me what you guys think of this chick.
She's gorgeous. Tell me this woman is not the most beautiful voice in America today. That's Marge Jansen. It's so beautiful. I was just blotting my eyes. Blotting my eyes with a Kleenex. Blotting my ears. Low blood. You get up there and you get it. All the divas are like, whatever. You're good, but whatever. That's to say nothing for the band itself. Careful, this one's... That's what I meant. That's enough. Let's all have your fun. Come on, buddy.
Pass that bottle of plucker over here, man. Thank you. Bring it down. That's right. Oh, night what? Thank you. Oh, beautiful man. Worry about taking another breath. Oh, my heart is pounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King infused faceplate. It was right after Christmas dinner. My husband was holding up the wishbone when our little daughter ran up. Gotta be included in the conversation, right? I love singers that almost sound like they're ready to cry. I agree. Listen to this. Yeah, that thing she does. Whatever it is. No, Ash. No, Ash. We were not doing that. Ash. The butt.
B-flat. Okay. So here is your list. Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. What list? What list? List of best Christmas songs. Oh, yeah. Mariah Carey. Yeah. Christina Aguilera. Kelly Clarkson. Whitney Houston. Celine. No, number 12, Fountains of Wayne. Are you being serious? Yeah, I'm being serious. And the best? I want an alien for Christmas. For the best? I'm sorry. That's right, Eddie, for the best. Number 11, Willie Nelson, Pretty Paper. What the hell is this? It's the best Christmas song. I've never heard of that. It's AOL's list. What do you want? Number 10, The White Stripes, Candy Cane Children. Oh, so we're just joking around. Yeah, basically what it is is it's one gay guy over at AOL that put together his list, and he's like, oh, I can't forget The White Stripes. Billy Squire, number 9, Christmas is the time to say I love you.
Christmas is a time since I love you. I like that song. It's a good song. I thought that was Bryan Adams. That is not true. Number eight. Yeah, number eight. Stevie Wonder. Someday at Christmas. I didn't know that song. It's because it's one gay guy at AOL that got together the list. That one's not bad. I don't even know it. I'm sure it's good. Stevie. Somebody said, hey, Phil, will you do the list this year, the top 12? Phil? Well, sure. What should I... Do I take a poll or how do I do it? And by the way, it's Philip. First of all, my name... First of all, when you're speaking to me, it's not Phil, it's Philip. With an F. With an F. Philip with an F. You see my finger in the air? That means, uh-uh. Yeah. You see that index finger? It means, no, you didn't. It means, oh, no, you didn't.
Okay, that's numero uno. Hey, Phil, you got that list for us yet? I'm putting it together. Oh, he did? I'm putting it together, Eddie. How many times are you going to ask me about it? Who are you talking to, Phil? Talking to you. He gets kind of weird. First of all. First of all, Edward. My name's not Edward. Don't call me that. How many years have we known each other? I've worked with you now four months. Yeah, so that's not even a year. Whatever. My roommate was saying the other day that... Your roommate? Roommate? Seth? Yes. He said number seven should be... You two. Christmas. Baby, please come home. What were you guys doing when you said that? Well, just barely getting into the sleeping bag. Okay. He is a gay man. That's been kind of cold out. Don't blame you. We weren't outside. Oh. Yo, Fred. Hello. Weird. Sausage casing. So I said, Seth. I said, Seth, do you have any ideas for number six? And he said, you're forgetting the oldies. Don't forget the oldies. Oh, really? I said, like what, sugar? And he said, Brenda Lee rocking around the Christmas tree. Oh, Seth is a big Brenda Lee fan. It's true. He went as Brenda Lee one year for Halloween. He did? It wasn't even Halloween.
It was actually Monday. Oh, Zef. Oh, you're so cute. Number five is James Brown. Santa Claus goes straight to the ghetto. That's right. This is the best list? You have the list confused. This is the worst. I played this album on my brand new Ikea record player just this last weekend. A record player. Plays vinyl. I got it at Ikea. Brand new record player. It's brand new. Did Seth put it together for you or did you? We put it together together, sweetie. Obviously. Sitting Indian style on the wood floor. Aw, that's sweet. Were you drinking cocoa? That's not cocoa. Oh. Number four, Joni Mitchell. What? Okay. River. Are you kidding me? I told you. I've never heard of this song. I'm Philip. I'm gay. I work for AOL. It's my list. Shut your mouths. This is a terrible list. But this doesn't even sound like a Christmas song. What is she doing? I've never heard it. It's not. I just like Joni Mitchell. Weird. So you can go see Santa. Okay. Shut up. Number three. Yeah.
Elvis Presley, Blue Christmas. Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one, Phillip. Sing it, Eddie. Well said. Beautiful. The number two best Christmas song on Phillip from AOL's list. What do you got, Phil? John and Yoko, Happy Christmas, The War Is Over. Number one. Oh, I think everybody will agree on number one. It better be good. What do we got? Watch yourself. Yeah. Run DMC, Christmas in Holland. You guys are all familiar with that, right? Yeah. Love it.
Cool. So Mike's never heard that before. We played it last year. We played it when he talked about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. When DMC came in the studio. And you were into it. Yeah, yeah. It sounds... It's really... Yeah. One of your favorites, right? Yeah. I've never heard it before. Oh, son of a... How did you guys hear it? Like, where did you come in contact with it? Life. I know it sounds like I'm talking about the Ebola virus, but... Like, where do you guys get it? Like, where do you consume it? It's on the radio. Really? On Rock 105? No. Because I never heard it. Yeah, Kid Squid used to spin that back in the day. Well, he was awesome. Didn't it? Tim Anthony. I think it was on the Very Special Christmas album, too, the first one. Oh, yeah. The worst Christmas songs, Phillip Doesn't Get It over at AOL. Number 11, Paul McCartney, Wonderful Christmastime. That's a great song. How is that not awesome? How is that not on the best? That's the worst, Mike. No. That's on the worst list. No. What Phillip said. No. Is he nuts? This is great. No. In fact, I want to put together a Christmas mix of songs. I would put this song. I love this song. Simply having a wonderful Christmas time. Oh, Uncle Al, what? You ever heard this guy? Yes. You haven't? Yes, I have, I'd say. Simply have.
Christmas time. You don't like it? You're doing the air flute, but I can't tell if you like it or you don't like it. I'm in. You are in. Yeah, and keep playing, dude. Number ten. Smashing Pumpkins Christmas Time. Never heard of it. Eddie just blew out the mouthpiece from his air bagpipes. I had stopped it. Otherwise, keep playing. Number nine. Destiny's Child. Eight Days of Christmas. Worst Christmas list. I've never heard it, but that's got to be terrible. It's got to be awful. You think? Number eight. Why? Bruce Springsteen, Santa Claus is Coming to Town. What? I'm down with that. I'm down with being on that list. If I'd never heard it again, I'd be fine with that. I love it every year. Really? Yes. Santa Claus is coming to town. I like that. Santa Claus is coming to town. Santa Claus is coming to town. Hey, Greg Kin, come on. Here it is. Eddie, do you like it?
It's all cold down along the beach. No. No, I don't. Oh, when he starts talking to Clarence. Clarence? What does he say to Clarence? He's like. There he is. He goes, Clarence, you want to be in your saxophone? You guys know what time it is? Welcome to the Kinsert. One, two, three, four. That got Scott. Kinsert gets her every time. You guys all been good and practicing real hard? Yeah. Well, let's all smoke some dope then. Let's all smoke some dope now. So Santa bring you a new saxophone. Who has some mushrooms in the denim jacket? It's not many, not many of you guys in trouble out here. Raise your hand if you haven't taken a bath. Everybody's raising their hand. The whole band is raising their hand. Now, this is clearly a live performance. Can you imagine the audience when he started whipping? They must have been like... Is he singing Santa Claus? Number seven, Cyndi Lauper, Christmas Conga. Oh, gross. Never heard of it. What? That doesn't sound good. Number six on the worst Christmas songs, the Beach Boys' Santa Beard. What is that? Beach Boys have a good Christmas song, don't they? Yeah. What is it? St. Nick. Is that what it is?
That's one of them. I know they've got a really good one that they play every year. Top five worst Christmas songs. Clay Aiken, Merry Christmas with Love. Has it come out yet? I don't want to talk about what happened in Baltimore. But you were the president of the Claymates at one point. Right. So anyway, if you're listening, Clay, send it back. Send it back. What the heck? He knows what I mean. Okay. Number four. The Ramones. Merry Christmas. I don't want to fight tonight. Okay. I don't speak that language, man. Yeah. That's like Greek and I can't read it. I don't understand. Number three. On the worst Christmas songs list from AOL. Nope. But we're in a soundproof. Oh, no, we're not. Oh.
Oh, we're not in a soundproof room. No. Number three, on the worst Christmas songs list, no doubt, oi to the world. What? Did I get the Ramones? Oh, boy. No doubt, mixed up. Utterly horrendous. That was in their early ska days. Number two is, on the worst Christmas songs list, is John Denver, Please Daddy, Don't Get Drunk This Christmas. Please, whoa. Please, this Christmas. This was originally written by Jacob Esparza. And number one on the worst Christmas songs list of all time. This is a travesty that this was number one. Really? Band-Aid, do they know it's Christmas? Whoa! It's a good song in my opinion. Dude, you got the George Michael in there. You got Bono. You got Wang Chung, I believe. Wang Chung was in that thing?
Yes, that is correct. It's fantastic, dude. What are they talking about? George, Howard Jones, Paul Young. Listen to Sean. Okay, Sean. You got it, Shawnee. I'm just contributing. I know, but the fact that you know every single one of them is a little... Billy Idol. All right. Andrew Risley. That's creepy that the guy knows all those people that were in band aid. That is weird. It's great. How does he know all those? P1 Josh is on the line. Josh, are you there? Yeah. Hey, guys. What's going on? I have a legitimate question. I think we all know that Skye's lists are all terrible. I was wondering if maybe she created these lists. She could have. Yeah, probably. She very well could have. So why isn't anyone blaming Mikey? Because I got the list from you. The list is from AOL. I heard the list is live. You're all sheep. P1 Brian.
Go ahead. Go ahead, Brian. Going back a little bit earlier, all the top female vocalists, I didn't hear Karen Carpenter come onto the list. Oh, she is good. Bring that out to level the playing field. She is good. Not this year, man. We're not doing it this year. There's no doubt about it. Karen Carpenter's good. And by the way, was that Phil McCracken over at AOL that was making that list? That is true. I'm a Kraken. I'm a Kraken. It actually was. Thank you very much. Thank you, Mikey. Oh. Yeah. She had a good voice, right? When she was singing. I told my wife yesterday, I don't understand Josh Groban. What don't you understand? Well, Harry Connick Jr., I understood. The vibe was... I'm like a crooner in the same way like Frank Sinatra. So there's like a hip, swinging kind of vibe. But Josh Groban does that kind of singing like Jim Neighbors. Well, let's hear a little bit. It's like the best-selling CD right now. Josh Groban? Yeah, it's Noel, his Christmas album. The stars are brightly shining
I think the audience is women in their young 50s and white men in their late 50s. But that's what I was trying to figure out. Who's... People who like to go to the theater. The theater. I think my mom loves Josh Groban. She does? I think so. My mom no doubt does. Rebecca's mom loves him. Does she go to the theater? She goes to the theater. I go to the theater. And the soul felt its love. Okay, thank you, Josh. It's garbage. Thank you, Josh. Yeah, thank you. Thank you, Josh. Shut up. For goodness sake. Just kept going and going. Steve Nash of the Suns, he chipped his tooth last night in the game. Oh, ow. Nash. Nash. Nash, can you hear me? Nash. Nash, can you hear me? Nash. Nash, can you hear me? Nash. So that means he's taking an elbow to the face. Nash.
Yes, I can hear you. Yes, I can hear you. So the Cubs decided that they're not going to pick up Mark Pryor's contract, and he's a free agent. Oh, I'm sure he's coming here, back home to San Diego. Betty, would you want Mark Pryor considering his health history? No. What for? You say you would pass on grass? Yes. Padres are trying to get Jason Bay from the Pirates. Pull on him really bad. Please, please, please, one time. Be nice, right? Get a good player. David Arquette is putting his foot down over his wife's friendship with Jennifer Aniston. So apparently Rachel and Monica are too good of friends in real life. Yeah. Yeah. Well, what's Phoebe have to say about all this? She needs to say anything about Smelly Cat. Oh. I love that song. Well said. That is the best song ever. Smelly Cat's a pretty good song. Yeah. You gotta admit. Come on.
Come on. You don't like Smelly Cat? It's garbage. What are they feeding you? Smelly Cat. Smelly Cat. It's not your fault. It's not the cat's fault. No. What are they feeding him? What are they feeding him? It's like Smelly. Figure it out. Sean is signing off. What? No, Sean. That was for you. He gave you the finger and signed off. What about Smelly Cat? A little smelly cat, though. There he goes. And camera off. Let's see. There's a couple more and we've got to get out of here. Scott Weiland officially got charged with DUI drugs. Driving under the influence of drugs. Yep, so he will be arraigned today, but the judge wasn't... Not well right now. Yeah, the judge wasn't buying it, and so he... I'll do the sound effects now. Okay. Sean signed off. Driving under the influence. He's not well right now.
Driving under the influence of drugs with a prior conviction and refusing a chemical test. That's just random. No, because of the cops. Oh, I got you. I'm a good sound effects man. So he's going to be arraigned today and the maximum penalty is one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Why is that garbage? Because maybe he wasn't? You wanted to hear the sound effect. I am the sound effect. You wanted to hear that one. That's a good one, Eddie. Thanks, man. Let's see. I think we're done, you guys. What about the sound effects? I think we're pretty much done here. Hi, my name's Sky. What's happening? That one doesn't make any sense. You got balls, man. I didn't play it. Eddie's playing sound effects. Eddie's playing the sound effects. I like it, but I don't like it. Wow, Eddie.
Tay, boy, ah. Not wrong. I like ham. I like ham. I like ham. Ham. Honey baked. So we only have sky drops, obviously. I'm on that page. Yeah, it's the only page. He's on the soundboard. He's on the sky page. Right. Sure. I don't have a problem articulating. There are just certain... Hey. Instead, that's Mudo. That's not how it goes, dummies. Hey. Ham. Come on. That's not a drop, Mike. Ham. Mikey show. No. Hey, what's up, you guys? How you doing? What's up, man? Right on. Hey, I wanted to ask you guys, what do you think about the music they're playing at Qualcomm on the Charger games? That's awesome. What do you... I don't understand. What do you mean? Like, when? Well, just throughout the whole entire game. I mean, I know you gotta play some, like, rappy kind of stuff for the cheerleaders, and that's fine. I'm just saying, about 90% of the music is this, like... Bring your milkshake to the yard kind of stuff, you know? You know what, man? Whenever I've gone to games, I never pay attention. Like, I really... I never notice the music. I really don't. Because you're watching the game. I am. I try to notice it. I find myself looking at my friends going, what...
That's relevant pop music. What do you want them to play? Why are you guys giving him such a hard time? He's got an opinion. He just doesn't like the music. That's all. I just asked him what would he prefer them to play. Yeah. Ashley wants to know what you would prefer. I would prefer them play more like some rock, you know, some rock and roll. Like give us a song title. I want song titles. kick some ass. All right, well, give us an example. Yeah, like song titles. All right. Some more Metallica stuff. That's cool. That would work for me. You know what I mean? Because it's just kind of like... Sky's shaking her head. No, why, Sky? Why would you not want a couple Metallica, like Enter Sandman? Well, because they're trying to play more mass appeal music. Enter Sandman? It's like the most mass appeal Metallica song? Well, and it has to be upbeat. Ooh, beat it by Michael Jackson? All right. Definitely not. Definitely no go there. I think the guy may have a point. It's not Slayer. Oh, come on a second. You're telling me if you didn't hear this at a Charger game, it wouldn't get you all charged up? They're getting ready to kick off, and all of a sudden they time it so that the drum kicks in right here. Through that big, massive cue sound system. Yeah.
Doing the defense to this. I'm down. I think you guys got a point. I think you make good points, sir. Instead of playing Umbrella. Yeah, exactly. Instead of Umbrella, why not play that? Exactly. What about a little Gary Hoey? That's Gary Hoey. Rage. Play a little Rage Against the Machine. Yeah, Rage would be cool. Ooh, yeah. Okay. You know, like something a little more intimidating. A little Bulls on Parade, dude. What about that new Kid Rock? Anything, man. Some more rock and roll. I'm just saying, I know we got to give something for the cheerleaders to dance to and everything, but like... They could dance to this. They could dance to all kinds of music. You know, it's like... Do we know who decides the music for the Charger games? Like, who gets to... No, that's what I want to find out. I want to find out who to write a letter to. Yeah, man. Hey, listen, it's your right, it's your opinion, and I think you should, man. Write a letter. You know? How do I find that kind of stuff out? Just call the Chargers, bro.
Just get the number for the Chargers main office, and what's that street called that they're on, Eddie? Murphy Canyon. Murphy Canyon Road. Just call the Chargers information, Chargers, Murphy Canyon. Charger Park. And write them and ask them that very question. Who could you write to comment about that? Exactly. The guy, he needs to shave it already. There you go. All right, brother. Sucking here in Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson every time I'm trying to watch football. You know what I mean? Yeah. Thank you, Rob. P1 Matt. What's up? Wait a minute. Eddie's got it in his hand right now. Eddie, what is it? They have some reported names that are going to be coming out in that Mitchell report. Right. You know, this big steroid report. Right. And some of the names that are reported that may get on this list are pretty big. Who you got? Oh, how about seven times Cy Young winner, Roger Clemens. Wow. Are you kidding me? Yeah. Oh, that just almost gave me the chills. Not didn't give me the chills. It almost gave me the chills. Almost. When you almost get the chills, like your chills go, we're about, nah, forget it.
Plus Andy Pettit, who just resided with the Yankees. Really? Can these guys get in trouble? I would assume so, yeah. I don't know what the deal is. But you've got Miguel Tejada, former MVP, just got traded for the Astros this week. A lot of Yankees on this list. Mike Stanton, former Yankees. Mike Stanton, Chuck Knobloch, Jason Grimsley. Clemens used after 96. David Justice. Man. Yeah, so this could be pretty crazy. Those are big names. Yeah, I can't wait to talk about it tomorrow when you get the full list. The official? Yeah, the official. Comes out about 11. By the way, the Democrats are debating in 20 minutes. Oh, debate it. CNN. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, this is Larry Leone. How are you doing? What's up, Larry? I am formerly with FreePB.org. I'm still involved with them, but we formed a new organization called BanTheBan3.org to sign petitions to put this alcohol ban thing to a vote of the people. So we've talked several times. Wait, wait, wait. Slow down. The alcohol ban in PB. Right. Got it. Okay, so we're actually trying to get it on the ballot.
so that the people of San Diego can vote, not eight city council members, right? Okay. So we went ahead and filed the necessary paperwork and had a lawyer look at it and all that, and we're actually running around getting these petitions signed. We have to get 30,209 in the next 22 days. We only have 30 days to do it, and we've got 22 days left. So I wanted to let your folks know that we're out and about doing that. What is your official, like, stance on this, Larry? Like, you feel like, hey, I want to be able to go drink beers at the beach. Yeah, I think we should be able to, you know, actually have the freedom to do it if we want to, you know. Yeah, there's some knuckleheads, according to, you know, some people on the city council that, you know, that should be stopped if they get out of hand, but 99% of the people... You know, in San Diego, they go down to the beach to have a beer or not. I picture him with like a beer helmet on right now. With the big plastic tubes coming down out of the cans. I don't have one of those. Those are kind of dorky looking anyway. All right, Larry. Well, listen, best of luck, and I hope you're able to, you know, do whatever you got to do. I signed it. Rob signed it. Yeah. You know, if people go to bandtheband3.org, they can really check it out. We're going to be out at San Diego State at the...
at the freedom steps, you know, where you can, you know, get out there and say what you're all about and sign a petition. There you go. First Amendment right, brother. Yes, sir. You can do whatever you want. Thank you. Hey, peace. I don't have an opinion on it one way or the other, to be honest with you. I don't really stand anywhere with it, but everybody's got a right to do whatever they want to do. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hello. How are you guys doing? How are you, man? I'm doing good. Having a nice day. What can I do for you? I would like to say that if they finally make cloning legal, I'm going to have to clone all you guys, have you move in so I can just hang out with you all day long. It's a good day. That'd be nice. Thank you so much, bro. You just put the biggest smile on Skye's face I've ever seen. It's cool because I could tell I kind of touched her a little bit. That's cool. It's sweet. And then you look at Skye and she's like, oh, that's sweet.
He wouldn't be able to afford the ham bill. Never. Did not get your quota of ham jokes in today. Rob's got his hand up for a ham joke. Rob, you have your ham raised. Go ahead. No, I'm going to be out tonight. Yeah, up in San Marcos at the 55 Yard Line. West San Marcos Boulevard. That bar is fun. I went there for appearance. Yeah, I'm excited. I've heard good things about it. So from 530 till 715. It's the calamari. Oh, yeah, Rob. You can have that again. I'm going to talk to Shauna about changing the call letters of the radio station to K-H-A-M. The ham. Oh, yes. Ashley had a giant smile on her face, and I said that. And then the smile face, she was like, that's my friend sitting over there. And I really don't appreciate that, Mike. I really don't. You just went to a bad place. I just really don't appreciate that.
In fact, I'm going to go home, I'm going to bake some cookies, and I'm going to think about it. That's right. Sorry, you have to be there. You have to be there. Lovely and talented Missy is up next today on the show on the nooner. She got the lost and found. It's going to be real good. Tomorrow we got a person live in the studio hanging out with us that won on Mikey's Show Trivia. So we'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out.
