voice real high like that. It's 6-0-7. Pam Anderson filed for divorce from her husband of two months and now says they're working it out. Monday Night Football last night, Minnesota keeps their hold on a playoff spot in a comeback win over Chicago 20-13. We went to dinner last night at the Casino Del Charo, the Mexican place in Restaurant Row, and there wasn't very many people there, and I know it's because nobody knows about the place, and it really worried me. Oh. Dude, we tried to go to the location in Escondido on Friday night, and there was such a long wait that we left. That's what Rebecca said last night, that that's what that place is like. The one in Escondido. In Escondido. Yeah. So, yeah, and I didn't even think about it. We should have just drove over to San Marcos. Oh, dude, yeah. I mean, it's so quiet. So it's the same restaurant? They open another location. Oh, wow. And I had eaten at that Escondido one.
Like on a Sunday morning when they did menudo and a whole buffet. And it was really great. So Rebecca said, yeah, they're putting one in over there on Restaurant Row in San Marcos. And I went in there and ate. And I thought, you know, this food is really, really, really good. And then we went again. And I went, this food is like really, really good. You know, in terms of like Mexican food. It's very authentic. It's like you picture some of the people making it can't speak English very well, and that's good. Oh, right. Mouth water. Yeah, right? Yeah. Just the thought of them being illegal. Just the thought of them. No one said that, Sean. I hope so. They should advertise that. Yeah. As to the flavor. Yeah. We employ illegals. Enjoy. Who wouldn't want to go? Who wouldn't want to go? Okay. If it were my restaurant, I would put a sign out front. And it would say that, but it would also say, we cook with lard. Yes, lots of it. Illegal lard. Wait. We cook with lard brought from Echo in Mexico. But the food there is real tasty in your mouth. I want to go so bad. It's pretty tasty. Rebecca gets the same thing every single time. Oh, let me know. That's probably what I'll want to get. What did she get? Chicken fajitas. Oh, so good.
Single time. Sounds awesome. And I was getting like, Eddie, you know that stuff that you turn me on to, the pork with the green? Chili Bear there? Yeah. They call it something different. Really? Yeah, they call it something different. You know, it's just like a name that has to do with the name of their restaurant. You know? It's like saying, you know, Pork Cone Mikey. Pork Cone Mikey's restaurant, you know? Well said. Sounds delicious. Oh, man, is it good? Yeah. It's so good. I mean, pork con Mikey. Pork con Mikey is really delish. Christmas is almost upon us. One week from today. Oh, my gosh, you guys. No. From today. One week from today. That's crazy. Seven days. Slow it down. Christmas is all around us. Can't wait. Everywhere we go. Have you guys ever seen Love Actually? Many times. Yes. It's a pretty funny movie. Duh. It's a Christmas movie. It's pretty good. All right, well, let's go round the horn. I take umbrage with you saying that's a Christmas movie, but go ahead. It absolutely is. It absolutely is. I take umbrage with that. That's clearly a Christmas movie. It takes place during Christmas that doesn't make it a Christmas movie. What's a Christmas movie? Where the Christmas is the theme of the movie. It is. No, it's about love. It's about relationships.
Around Christmas. It's a supporting theme. Can we talk about this? Sure. Oh, here we go. Throughout the entire movie, it says four weeks till Christmas. Three weeks till Christmas. Two weeks till Christmas. That's a timeline. That doesn't mean that it's about Christmas. They're building. No. But they're counting down to Christmas. They're counting down to Christmas. The movie is counting down to Christmas. They say four weeks. The movie begins by saying. So I'm alone in this? Five weeks before Christmas. Yeah, I'd say love actually is a Christmas movie. Oh, it's clearly. Here's the deal. Christmas movies are movies where Christmas and the story of Christmas is the theme. Love actually is about relationships and people cheating and people getting together. But they use Christmas. It could have been the 4th of July. But they use Christmas as a catalyst for said love. Well, I see what Eddie's saying, though, because if you take Christmas out of that... You could still have a movie. It's a movie anywhere. No, no, no. Wait. I disagree with you. Hugh Grant being the prime minister, what does that have to do with anything? Let me explain. Let me explain. If you take Christmas out of the movie Love Actually, Hugh Grant does not end up with the brunette. That's not true. I'll tell you why. Go ahead.
I'll disagree. But you haven't heard it yet. I already have my own thoughts. But you just said to me, it doesn't matter what you say, I will not have an open mind to it. Absolutely. Okay, fair enough. But I'll still tell you. The turning point in the relationship is when he receives a Christmas card from her. Thank you. Had he not received the Christmas card, he wouldn't have gone. That's the moment that he realizes. So you're telling me he never liked her? No, he did. But he shunned her. Yeah. He sent her away. And then one day, they bring in to the Prime Minister, they bring in just a random sample. What if she sent him an Easter card? Of Christmas cards. Well, perhaps that could be, but... Stop talking like that. I've got to share the port. No, it's really... The bottom line is, in this particular film, Christmas was used as a conduit to that love. Very true. No, it's not a Christmas movie. It is. At all. It is. It absolutely is. Where's Santa? At the Christmas concert. He wasn't. He doesn't have to be in it for a Christmas movie. Wait a minute. Now, is that your qualification? I think that there has to be some... A lot of... I think it has to have to do with Christmas and Christmas themes. DP agrees with you, Eddie. P1, DP is on the line. Are you there, DP? Yes, I am. You agree with Eddie? You agree with Eddie, right? Yeah, I do. I think that's a relationship movie.
Well, yeah. It's like saying Die Hard's a Christmas movie. Oh, I love to watch that around Christmas. Excuse me. But it's not a Christmas movie. It's an action flick. Excuse me. Yes. I believe that if you were to look at what categories love actually was in, it would say romance, holiday. No, absolutely not. I think it would. Absolutely not. Yes. Romance, you're correct. Holiday, no. Well, what about like It's a Wonderful Life? Tell me that's not about relationships. It's not. It's about a guy who changes his life around Christmas time. Excuse me, may I finish? No. May I just speak? No, you may not. You know what? You guys can go on believing your false pretenses on Christmas movies and I will continue to be right. Now what about The Holiday? What is that? This one with Cameron Diaz. Is that a Christmas movie? You're thinking that's a Christmas movie? Why? It doesn't even take place mostly around Christmas. It does. Christmas and New Year. I've never seen it, but it's called The Holiday. The Holiday is a vacation in Europe. Oh, I see. But it takes place during Christmas time.
It takes place in Britain. Half of it is in Britain and that's what the theme of the movie is about. About them switching houses during Christmas time. I think Eddie has a great point. I don't remember that. And then the very final scene is New Year's. The final scene is New Year's. In Britain, they do say if you go on vacation, they call it you're on holiday. That's what the movie's about. So this guy is clearly wrong. Wow. Again. This is crazy. Love Actually is a Christmas movie. No way. No way, man. You're right. That's why we just watched it. Yes, Eddie, you are right. Now Sky's changing her mind. Thank you, Sky. Yes, Eddie, you are right. That's a clip. That's an old clip. P1C. Yeah, it's like a Christmas cousin movie. It's a Christmas love movie, you know? It's a love story that takes place around Christmas time. I get that. But, I mean, I'm talking Christmas story, elf.
Miracle on 34th Street, Winter Wonderland. All Christmas movies. Those are Christmas movies. All Christmas movies, just like Love Actually. No, no. The main theme in Love Actually is not Christmas. What about Scrooge? That is true. How do you feel about Scrooge? Scrooge? Yeah. The Bill Murray movie? Yes. I don't even know. These are the weirdest examples you're giving me. Dude, I watch that every single year, Scrooge, at Christmas time. Well, I mean... The story of Scrooge takes place around Christmas. I don't even know. I haven't seen Scrooge in like 15 years. What about The Ref with Dennis Leary? Is that a Christmas movie? Rob, you're ruining it. You're ruining it. Nobody's seen that? We encourage him to talk all the time. Nobody's seen that. Why? Nobody's seen that great movie. Why? Wow. I think that Love Actually is primarily a relationship movie. No doubt about it. It's about love. It's about love, actually. But it's clearly a holiday film. Yes. With porn stars in it and prime ministers. Unconventional, Eddie, yes. Please. Unconventional. That's real life, man. No way, man. Now, is that to say that because there's porn stars in it, that that means that they... Just because there's porn stars, it can't be a Christmas movie? I don't know that I would want a...
I personally don't want porn stars in my Christmas movies. I don't either. But unfortunately, it's in one of my favorites. But it's not a Christmas movie. I said that to Rebecca. I go, you know what I don't like about that Christmas movie? No. He said. He didn't say that. He didn't say that. He didn't say that. I know him. I said, when it was over, I said, you know, I go, I haven't seen that movie in a long time, and I've changed a little bit since I've seen it. Whoa. And I said, man, I wish there was different stuff about it. And she goes, you talking about the porn stars? I said, yeah. I said, you know. It's cheeky. You know, yeah. It's cheeky. It's cheeky. And they're just trying to get bits and pieces. Bits and pieces. P1 Jason, are you there? Jason. Hey. How are you? I'm doing good. What's up?
While you were sleeping, that takes place during Christmas, and she meets a family, and she falls in love with them. Well, they all practically live together anyway, so she would have met them anyway. It's just a matter of it being during Christmas, and it's a whole love story movie. I believe that there are movies... So, is that a Christmas movie? Yes. I believe that there are Christmas movies... Movies? That are movies. Movies? Movies? I believe there are certain movies. Shada? I believe that there are certain movies that are films about something very specific that take place during Christmas. I don't think Love Actually is one of them because I think that the Christmas plays a major role in the story. Christmas is almost a character. It almost becomes a character. Christmas is, I am going to be the catalyst. To a lot of love. That's what Christmas is saying in the movie, if it were a character. So I'm Googling best Christmas movies, and some of these lists have interesting things, like Die Hard, Gremlins. Yeah, but you know internet and lists. People want to put dumb stuff. Yeah, I'm in. I'm in. I support these picks. You do? Yeah. Some of them I'm sure I will, and some of them I'm sure I will not. Die Hard.
Come on. Die hard. Dude, it all happens during the Christmas party. P1 Tom. Are you there, Tom? Yeah, hey, Mikey. What's up, dude? Hey, I think if Eddie would really look at everything a little bit more objectively, like the fact that the guy that's in love with Keira Knightley is holding signs and says, if you can only tell the truth at Christmas, it's when it would come out. That's true. Great point. That is true. See, again, Christmas is the catalyst to, in that case, creepy feelings. Thank you. I hated that whole storyline. I hated it. I hate how they made cheating seem cute. And almost like, aw, cheating. It could only be together. I despised that about the film. It wasn't necessary at all. Sky, did you like that portion of the movie? That guy's best friend fell in love with his wife. And they sell it, like how sweet it is, when he comes to the door and holds up a sign when she answers the door that says, tell him it's carolers, which creeps me out. So she goes, it's carolers. And the guy, her husband, his best friend, goes, well, tell them to bug off.
Which is supposed to for the audience. Yeah, who wants to be with that guy? Yes, exactly. He's a jerk. For the audience, that's supposed to make you think, oh, well, he's a bad person. Oh, it's justified then. It's justified to cheat. Duh. And so he's holding up cue cards. That's what the first one says. And then he proceeds to tell her how he's in love with her. His best friend's wife. His best friend's wife. That's a good guy. Yeah. And I thought, now why? Why? Why is that necessary? That ain't right. What, Skye? Talk to me. Talk to me. Talk to me. Well, no. Like, I mean, on paper and everything you guys are saying is totally right. But I don't know. I enjoy that movie. I'm not going to pick it apart and not enjoy it because people are cheating or because someone's a porn star. Like, I just enjoy that movie. So let me ask you a question. Okay. Because I don't want to pick it apart too much. Well, you won't. Just enjoy it, guy. Well, what I'm doing is making an observation about a big plot in the film. That's a plot. That's a whole big part of that movie is that guy falling in love with his best friend. Which you don't care for. And if I didn't care for a big plot of a movie, I wouldn't enjoy that movie. Well, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first time I saw it. Right. But let me axe you. Axe me. Tonight, you're sitting home with the hubby on the couch. Ding dong. Your husband says, I'll get it.
So he gets up, he goes to the door, and there's your friend Michelle. So you're picking it apart. That's not... Wait, wait, wait. I'm just offering the exact same analogy. Dude, it's a movie. Your best friend... What if I feed the gremlin after midnight? Like, dude. No, don't do that. Wait, wait, wait, wait. That would be picking apart gremlins to be saying the whole plot of gremlins was to pour water on them and they turn into gremlins. That's the whole plot. That's the whole idea. Like, to me, I sat... I ate my popcorn and I enjoyed the movie. Yeah, in real life, that would be crappy, dude. You didn't think it was crappy in the movie? Let's say it's 15% of the movie. I enjoyed the rest 85% of the movie, but that 15%, I agree with Mike, I thought was really... crappy. Didn't give it a second thought. Well, you're a bad person. No! It's clear. It's clear. It's clear. It's true. Not a good start. It's clear. Not a good start. It's Tuesday. It's Tuesday. Great start. Just saying. You think cheating's fine. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that. Again. Let me ask you.
If a major plot in the movie was a guy that beat his kid physically, you would go, hey, don't pick it apart. But I love that movie. Yeah, I love it. So he beats his kid. Oh, well. I haven't seen a movie where they can do that well. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And in Love Actually, they made cheating endearing. Yeah, they did. That's what I resented. And it sucks, but I enjoy it, and I'm just going to keep enjoying it every year. That was my problem. And that's exact. She's right. I said that exactly to Rebecca afterwards. I go, what I really didn't like was how they made that stuff cute. And in my life, I don't think that stuff's cute. So it was hard to find a best friend falling in love with his best friend's wife. That was hard to find cute. He was selling it, the filmmaker. He set it up with cute music and, you know. He's kind of telling you, you should like this. You kind of want to, but then when you think about it, you're like, I don't like this. That's exactly it. I want to because you're doing it so well. You feel for the guy. Keira Knightley's hot. You're like, I get it, but then you're like, I can't get past the fact that that's his best friend. Stop, this is creeping me out. It creeped me out a little bit. So, Eddie's our producer and our sports guy. He's 34.
This guy's our news girl. She's 30. She's into cheating. She's pro-cheating. That's not... She's pro-cheating. Opposite. Opposite. She's anti-monogamy. No. Sean is our sound effects guy. 37 years old. The sound effects is what he does. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 24 years of age and stretching. Oh, yeah. Boston Rob is our phone screener and Zeth's friend. And he is 25 years old. And Zeth is 22, youngest guy on the Mikey Show. Never heard of it. Seven people in the show. He's one of them. You know who he is, Zeth? Never heard of it. He's good. He's the newest kid on the show. Wow. P1 Paparazzi is on the line. Eddie, that was quick. Eddie reacting a little.
We're having a good conversation. Eddie reacting a little. I've got to get in on this. Well, maybe he's got some input. Well, we call him paparazzi. He used to go to the personal appearances we did and take pictures. And so we call him paparazzi. I'm just going to journal over there. Real name is Brad. But we're on the... Maybe we should call him P1 Budinsky. Wait a minute. Whoa! Now, Sean. Come on. Hey, listen. If I had to give the guy a name, I would get... If I had to rename him, I would rename him P1... Good comments. Creepazoid. Most of the time, I would say that P1 Paparazzi has some good comments and input. P1 good input. P1 Paparazzi. His real name is Brad. Brad, are you there? Yeah. What's up, dude? What about the movie Home Alone? His huge Christmas references, even at the very end, they're meeting up for Christmas family. They finally get together after they make the Christmas wish. Eddie, Christmas movie? I refuse to answer any direct questions. Ask Eddie the same question. Eddie, what do you think of Home Alone with all the Christmas stuff? They show it almost every year around Christmas time. Is that a Christmas movie to you? I think that Home Alone is a family film that takes place around Christmas time so that they...
tend to show that around Christmas time because of the family film-ness. So if you were to ask me, would I say Home Alone is a Christmas film? I would say no. Wow. Was it because paparazzi? No, I'm saying you've got to tell paparazzi. Oh, paparazzi, he says no. Ah, sad. There you go. You're sad. Your whole life is sad. He's our friend. He is our friend. The listener, man. Paparazzi, I am going to... It is not. I'd like to just remind you to analyze what Eddie said. Please. Try not to read into it and make it into something that it isn't. I mean it. All right. Thank you, paparazzi. That's enough. Merry Christmas. Yeah. And happy holidays. Do you want affirmative action is on the line? What's going on, dude? Good morning. Good morning. If a movie was made centered around Brad Pitt cheating on Jennifer Aniston to get back with Angelina Jolie, but he bought Angelina Jolie a Christmas present, would that still be okay? And the sweet music and all that stuff. Right. Let's say the director was doing a movie on that real relationship, starring the real actors, but he sold it in a way that was sweet. No, if it's starring the real actors, I can't. It's too real. But if it's like...
What if they were playing characters, but it was the same story? Yeah, but if it's the same story and I don't, like, know it's that real story, then, yeah, I'd probably buy into it and be like, oh, they were really good to be together. What if a kid was really about to get kidnapped, like, in Home Alone? You're like, oh, wow, he's really getting kidnapped. Stop, this is creeping me out. See? Everyone's guilty of it. Thank you. Stop, this is creeping me out. It sure is. Thank you for the analogy that made me feel strange. Well said. Okay. Yesterday, Pam Anderson filed for divorce. And then about four hours later said, just kidding. Come on. Idiot. I guess. Right, Skye? Yeah. I mean, I think. It's a publicity stunt. From what I'm reading, I think she actually filed for divorce late last week. But we didn't, you know, the public didn't find out about it until yesterday afternoon. And then by that time, they had already said, you know what, we're going to try and work it out. So, but who runs to file for divorce after having a fight? Somebody that wants a publicity stunt. Somebody that wants to promote their new reality show TV.
The reality TV show. Somebody that wants to do that. There's no harm, no foul. It costs you a couple of bucks because you got a file, but since you don't go through with it, you're not divorced. But it's a very inexpensive way to promote a reality show. If that's true, that's disgusting. Yeah, it is. Yeah. Yeah. Talk about taking the idea of something that is supposed to be beautiful and changing it into something disgusting. It's just disgusting. Let's see. P1 Greg. Are you there, Greg? I'm here. You want Eddie to define what he believes a Christmas movie is. That's right. For those people that are just tuning in right now, Eddie, what is a Christmas movie? Again. Oh, calm down. A Christmas movie is a movie where it is centered around Christmas and Christmas themes. Like Scrooge. Well, don't you think that the Christmas theme, the real story behind Christmas is love?
Wow. You're a genius, sir. I want to take lessons from you. Yes, and I'm wrong then. Do you offer classes, sir? Save that clip. I would like to take them. Thank you very much, sir. Come on. That was rad. That was rad. In your face. That was awesome. I wonder if Mike Huckabee's new ad campaign is going to be controversial. Oh, what is it? I haven't... Cut one. Are you about worn out of all the television commercials you've been seeing? Mostly about politics. I don't blame you. At this time of year, sometimes it's nice to pull aside from all of that and just remember that what really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ and being with our family and our friends. I hope that you and your family will have a magnificent Christmas season. And on behalf of all of us, God bless and Merry Christmas. I'm Mike Huckabee. And I approve this message.
Listen, that is going to be very controversial. And listen, what he said, I feel. My dad just sent me an email about three days ago that said just that. And it was this whole story that pointed all that out. And I love hearing it. Every time I hear it, I go, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because, man, do I get caught up. I get caught up in... Money. It's always about money. Me, personally. Every Christmas season, it comes down to how much money do I have? How much money am I spending on Christmas presents? Did I get so-and-so a Christmas present? I wonder what so-and-so is going to get me. It turns into that. And, you know, so I like hearing it, but I think that there are going to be some people that's going to be a little bit controversial for. Eddie, what do you think of that? uh i think it's a little strange in to say that message in the vein of like a political ad like to me that doesn't i i question the genuineness of it i really do because it's like oh you're doing something right now to help you get elected for president like if i agree with his message
But it's weird that he would do that in a political... Yeah, like if he put that ad out every single year at this time, I would be like, awesome. But like Eddie said... He's doing it to get elected, which is weird, you know? Right. I was just going to ask you what you think, but I think you answered it. Yeah. But I think the message is great. Yeah. Now me, I think that he believes that. And he wants... It's another way of him letting people know what he stands for and what he's about. That lets people know who he is and what he's about. No doubt about it. And if that's a guy that is running for president, he wants people to know, hey, this is how I feel about this holiday season. For me, it's a little bit refreshing, but I totally get where you guys are coming from. And I think a lot of people are probably going to see it that way. This is what we have for you today. We got one. doozy of an email. A doozy of an email that we're going to read to you and get your input on. And it is about a woman in the military, or a woman whose husband's in the military, went to Iraq, and she says, listen, while you're there, do your thing. If you want to be with other women for relief, go ahead. But I don't want to know about it, and you better not bring back any diseases. I don't want to hear about it.
And you better not bring anything back. That's crazy. So get your take on that. We're going to do another Mikey's Secret Santa just after 7. We'll be helping out some more people before the holidays. And let's see. What else we got? Wuss Rock Jukebox on the show today. Wuss Rock Jukebox. So that's guys that know all the Wuss Rock songs from the 80s and the 90s. You'll call us and win prizes. A little cell phone mishaps today. You ever call somebody didn't mean to? And then we're going to be talking about a topic of getting dumped during the holidays. It came up because we were talking to Katie Darrell yesterday and she said her and her boyfriend just broke up. Does it happen? Why does it happen? It seems to be a phenomenon that does happen. It's strange how it happens this time of year. And then we've got to tell you about our appearance that we're going to be doing tomorrow. We're doing two appearances this week. Wednesday and Friday. Cricket locations. We'll tell you all about them and a ton more. Don't go anywhere. Pablo Francisco on the Stand-Up Spotlight. The Mikey Show Stand-Up Spotlight 105.3 Musicals don't really happen in real life. That's why I don't like them too much. You're really hanging out with your friends and music comes out of nowhere and your friends are dancing. Let's go! You suck. You're hanging out with your buddies. Hey, can I come to the party, man? Can I...
Hey, man, Pablo, you can't come, man. You got drunk at Freddy's house this week, man. You're a street rat. Street rat. Riff raff. I don't buy that. If only they look closer. Would they see a poor boy? No siree. Hey, shut up. You shut up. Come on, Abu. Your friends. Hey, Pablo, what'd you do last summer? Oh, you know I met a girl named Sandy. All right. All your friends go, oh, no. Join the P1 tech store. I can tell her 150 times a day that I love her. But when I give her that little box and she opens it up...

Like, you know, Sky and I and Mikey have talked about, we hate going to the mall. You know, the mall right now is crazy. And if we can avoid it and do some online shopping, things like that. This is the way to go. Well, ProFlowers, they want to hook up P1s, and they got an amazing deal for you. Not just one deal. They got a couple of deals for you at ProFlowers.com. You can choose between two different holiday offers right now. Okay. They got, right now, a dozen red and white candy cane roses. Now, you say, what the heck is that? It's just basically red and white roses, but they're kind of cut differently. You know, so they look. They're staggered. They're staggered, yeah. To make a candy cane effect. It looks like a candy cane. That's true. That's what I got for my wife. Yeah. And my wife, immediately when she saw it and put it in the vase and all that stuff, she's like, wow, that looks like a candy cane. That's awesome. So it was a perfect gift. Okay, I like it. So you can get that for just $29.99 or two dozen for just $10 more. Wow. So whatever you want to do. I mean, two dozen red and white beautiful roses for just $39.99. That's awesome. And I'm not done, Sky. Oh, I thought I needed that. Let's throw in some more.
More? Yeah, let's throw in some more. What do we got? How about free chocolate truffles? Shut your mouth. And the free glass vase. Whoa. All that stuff. Bunny Boo, take a note. What movie did NBC famously leave the New York Jets-Oakland Raiders game for in 1968 with 65 seconds left in the game? Wow. Come on. Can you imagine how enraged people were? What day did that happen on?
It happened on blah, blah, blah in 1968. I need to have all my facts. Oh, wow. She is taking a lot of time on this one. Just wanted to bring that up. That leads to your talking. It's a big step in the right direction for you, buddy. Too bad sweat wasn't intelligent. You can see Stephen Hawking. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 5-3-6-45. Home prices in San Diego keep going down. Prices are now down 9.7% from last year. Looks like the Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's thumb is okay. Should play against Carolina. Hopefully Jessica Simpson will stay home. Our boy Gary Hoey is going to be playing the belly up tomorrow night. Make sure you go see him. I'm sure he's going to be playing all his Christmas stuff. That's a great Christmas show. He's really good, man. Welcome back to the program. Weird stuff in the news today.
We're going to get to all of it. Your phone call is at 570-1053. Eddie, what do you guys do for Christmas dinner? Anything particular? Do you have a tradition? No, not really. In fact, I don't even know what's going to happen this year because we're going to spend the holiday morning, Christmas morning with my wife's family and then Christmas night fly up to see my family. Oh, wow. On Christmas night. That's a busy day. So, you know, there'll be, hopefully, you know, we did the kind of same thing last year and there was nobody at the airport. So it was really easy. But it will be arriving around dinner time. So I don't know if my folks are like, we're going to, if anything's open, if we're going to go out to dinner or I don't know what the deal is. Sky, you're doing steak instead of ham, right? No, that was our Thanksgiving. Yeah, what are you doing Christmas? I don't know. Ham. We're going to be at the in-laws, so I know they do tamales every year, homemade tamales, and they normally have something else as well. What are you hoping for? Well, I don't think it's any secret what I'm hoping for, but I'm not hosting, so it is not up to me. Can your husband suggest that it be ham? Or maybe you can offer that as a gift.
I would like to, but we've discussed that, and the hubby doesn't think it's quite appropriate. You could take some of the ham that you bought the other day at the Honey Baked Ham Street. Well, that's already gone, Sean. Well, how does he feel about suggesting, you know, not that it's coming from you, but just suggesting it himself? Saying, hey, Mom, what about ham? I don't think he'd be opposed to that. Well, what did he say about that? Well, I don't know. I just know how stressful the holidays are, and I don't really want to... I don't... Rock the boat? Thank you. I'm definitely not for rocking the boat when I go to visit my husband's family. I lay low and just go with the flow. You didn't ask him to ask for that? No. Wow. Honey baked. So do you have any clue what it'll be besides tamales? No. Wow, you'll be devastated if it's not. It's going to be pretty tough. Maybe a light meal. Are you not going to eat there and then just eat honey baked later? A black Christmas. Yes. Maybe a light meal. We don't know. A hamless meal. It's going to be like I'm Jewish or something. I feel so badly for the Jews that can't have ham. Sad, really. What would a life be like not eating pork products? Can't imagine. Well, it's too hurtful to think of. Hurtful? Whatever. Not having ham. It's like not having Santa Claus. That's right. Not having the very air that we breathe.
It'd be like life without money. Unbearable. I was watching a guy put up Christmas lights yesterday in my neighborhood. I was talking to my neighbors about it because it looked so dangerous. And I told you, I just went to a bunch of guys in my neighborhood did a poker night where you had to pay 25 bucks to get in the house. And a whole bunch of guys were there. And they gave all the dough to Toys for Tots, right? And we're all there. We're talking. This guy rolls in in a wheelchair. He's got a busted pelvis and a broken arm. Dislocation. From putting up Christmas lights at his house. What do they call you? Wheels? This other dude in the neighborhood. He's got a two-story house, right? And the house has like an angle to it. So it's not flat.
And then it goes, you know, the roof has an angle and goes up to another level. So there's another roof on top of that roof, right? Yeah. Well, dude wanted to hang Christmas lights on that level. So he just took the ladder up there and stuck it on that incline. Come on. Oh, come on, man. He put the ladder on the bottom roof? Yeah. Shut up. Dude. That is not safe. I mean, I'm like, oh, man. That's bad. Oh! That does not look good. No way. Well, you've got to think around Christmas time, it's people who normally on a daily basis maybe have a computer job or whatever, but it's time for them to get handy and use ladders and electrical stuff and things that maybe they don't normally do. You just described me, and that's why I don't do it. Listen. I can't wait to do it. You should have seen me last night trying to see it out. I'm really looking forward to it. It's really embarrassing. I'm not serious, but... I think it'll only be like once. You're not serious? No, I'm serious. But I think that it'll only be like the first year that I'm excited to do it and then I'll hate it. But I'm kind of looking forward to it. Like putting the lights up and everything? Yeah. Yeah, it's dangerous if you have a two-story house. I think of it like...
I think of it like skydiving, only you don't really know how to pack a parachute. But you're like, hey, you know what? I'm going to give it a shot. Yeah, I'll figure it out. I think it'll be exciting. You bungee jump. You've never bungee jumped before. You're not going to have a professional tie the bungee to the bridge. You're like, I'll figure it out. Let me give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen? Nail gun into my hand. Break your... pelvis and end up in a wheelchair. Exactly. In a sling. Dude, yeah. If you don't have the right equipment, yeah, you can't be doing that stuff. 5701053. What's the worst thing that's happening? That's not the equipment I'm talking about. I'm talking about like an extension ladder. I got this, man. No ladder on the bottom roof. How else are you going to get up there? An extension ladder. He didn't have one. Well, then don't do it. Yeah, don't go up. Your house can't have lights up there. Why not haul a barrel up there, stand on that? If the point is you just need to stand. Yeah, put a barrel and then put a bear on there and then get on the bear's shoulder, juggle a few balls. How about newspapers? Just get some newspapers and stack them up. Stack them up. Stack the newspapers. Yeah, why not? However high you need to be. Oh, you guys. Just put a slip and slide up there.
Take some catalogs and magazines, whatever. Just stack them up. I would maybe tie myself up to the roof. What are you talking about? What do you mean? Like a rock climber. Yeah, so that if I did slip and fall, I would catch myself. See, that's the thing. I don't even think the climbing on the roof to put the lights up is that hard. I'm more concerned about the electrical part of it. Nah, that's easy. Well, that's just plugging something in. You don't know. You're not hardwiring lights. Right. Yeah, but I was trying to put up lights last night, and there was a lot of warnings about electrocuting yourself. There is. When you have a flooded apartment half the time. Eddie. Eddie, my place isn't flooded anymore. Peace. I've moved. I moved out of that place. It was flooded all the time. I had to get the hell out of there. When I moved in, nobody said, hey, this place is prone to flooding. They did not. And then when it flooded, I was like, I don't like this place. I don't talk like that. You know what I mean? I got in my boat and I sailed away. That's right. I said, well, this ship is set in sail. I mean, I did leave, but that's not why. 5701053, have you ever jacked yourself up at Christmas time doing Christmas holiday stuff? P1 Tony.
Yeah, how you doing? Good. Yeah, I got a story for you. I was up on my roof, and my brother, I was stapling the lights to the house. And my brother decided to be a retard and plug in the lights to see if they were working, and I had stapled it. And right when I stapled it, I accidentally went through the wire, and it shot me and threw me off the roof. Oh, my gosh. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, that ain't... Oh! You just don't have your brother help. Oh, I know. I told him he is definitely never going to help me again. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, the guy that was in the wheelchair, he was putting the lights up above his garage, and so the ladder was in the driveway. And he said that what happened was, I don't... I don't remember how he said that it began, but the ladder started to go backwards. And he said that it just turned into slow motion. And he said that he, in his mind, was thinking, I can't really be falling backwards into my driveway, right? And so he wanted to break his fall. So he did what came naturally and by instinct. He put his elbow out.
And his elbow was what broke the fall with the concrete driveway. Now, contrary to what a lot of people think, most of the time, not all the time, but most of the time, the concrete driveway wins. Really? Most of the time. A lot of times that elbow is strong enough to break the concrete and break your fall. Well, it's better his elbow than his head, man. It's true. He said his head, he never even made contact with his head, which we all thought was amazing, you know? He just shattered that elbow. Shattered it. P1 Angel on the line. Hey, what's up, man? What's up? When I was doing some Christmas lights in Florida, of all places, my father sprayed artificial snow up on the roof, and I hit a patch of that, went off, broke both ankles, my nose, and my wrist. Well, when you think about it, though, he really wanted to get that natural look of West Palm Beach snow up there. I understand. He didn't bother to tell me he was doing it until I stepped in it. Terrible. Who knew fake snow was slippery, too? Just a little. That's right. P1CJ, you there? Yeah. What did your brother do? Well, he was trying to use a nail gun to put...
like the lights on the roof. He's going to just kind of like hang them there. And he shot himself in the finger with it. Nail guns. Nail guns, nail guns, nail guns. Every time, right? Those nail guns. I don't know how they still sell them to white men. I'm not kidding you. What? Listen, you go to Home Depot, you go up to that cash register with a nail gun and you're a middle-aged white guy? Sorry, sir, we can't sell this to you. We're not allowed. The only people that we will sell those to are Mexican contractors. That's it. They know what they're doing. But you're a middle-aged white guy. You don't know. You don't know what you're doing. Sir, stand back. Are you wearing loafers? Is that a polo pullover? Get out of here. You know you're not. Guys like, I'll take that comb there. That nail gun. Pint of old Harper. Yeah, I don't trust any of that. All right, we've got to take a quick timeout, but when we come back, Michael Jackson just got photographed with bandages on his face, and I'll tell you what's up. Do you see it, Sean? Yeah. Ooh, boy. It's so creepy. It is... There's not words to describe. There's not words. I'll tell you what's up, and we're going to read you that email. This woman says, her husband that goes to Iraq, well, you know, you can cheat, but I don't want you bringing anything back, no pregnancies, no disease.

Michael Jackson has done something again to his face. And Skye sent me a link yesterday. Send me the link. She sent me the link. She sent me a link yesterday, and I was like,
Oh, no. There was two links. One of them was TMZ, which was just a link. And it says, hey, there's something going on. And you see him with a hood over his head, like a hoodie. You see dark glasses. And then his face has all these Band-Aids on it. Then she shows me Perez Hilton's website. And you know how Perez writes stuff on the picture itself? It makes it look like chalk, like he's writing it with chalk. It's kind of supposed to look like that. I don't know. Looks like he hand wrote it is what it looks like. And he writes freak over the picture. And I was like, whoa, dude. I mean, I think the picture speaks for itself. You don't have to rub it in, dude. But yeah, so I don't know what's going on with him. Sky, do you know what the deal is?
No, they're not, like, saying, but it looks like bandages on, like, the tip of his nose and then surrounding all sides of his mouth. And he was photographed at the Barnes & Noble near the home they're living in in Las Vegas. Are you sure they weren't just little reminders, like little post-it notes? Well, Eddie, they did look like post-it notes. I'm not going to lie to you. But yeah, I guess they were at Barnes & Noble's for three hours. Oh, they were, Michael? What did you want to remember? One of them said, don't forget to go to Home Depot. And then the other one says, Michael Crichton, question mark. I don't know. There's about a book I'm supposed to read. Oh, that's why you're going to Barnes & Noble. Yeah. Oh, that's what it meant? You need to write more detailed post-it notes on your face. Let's see. What does this one say? This one says, freak. Wait, wait. Your nose came off with that. I don't know. Oh, no. Somebody put that there. That's a mean joke. Perez Hilton. It's not a nice joke. That's not nice at all. No, it's not, Michael. Wait. You okay? I think your ear just fell off. I just saw the cover of the new Newsweek. I can't wait to read. Listen, I have a subscription to Newsweek.
There is no there's no magazine that you can get that just doesn't take a side. You cannot do it. The Newsweek with Mike Huckabee. Holy Toledo. The whole article is about the religion sucks and who needs it and blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, OK, wow. Well, listen, person that wrote this, obviously not religious. OK. Wow, this is a pretty rough one on you, Mike. The new Newsweek is a photograph of John Edwards, and its cover says, The Sleeper. Oh, I want to read that. The Sleeper. So I want to read it, too. I wonder if it's going to be like, Come on, John Edwards. This lovely man can save our world. I hope so. With his looks. He's very handsome.
He is. Goes a long way. That handsomeness. Look at his face! Now, I'll tell you what. If he was the Democratic nominee and Mitt Romney was the nominee for the Republicans, like, what do you do? What do you do then? They're both so handsome. Vote for Edwards. It's like America's next top model president. That's right. That'd be a great show. That's right. All right, so what do you guys think of this? Hey, Mikey, me and my friend have argued continuously about this issue. I'll attach the argument. Should women married to members of our armed forces understand and forgive when their husbands cheat? My parents divorced because my mom believes that my dad cheated when he was on a three-year tour. But my neighbor allows her husband to have sex when he's on tour. She says she wants her husband...
He's a Marine stationed overseas to be happy, and she knows that men have urges and that he's under stress. So she told him to go for it, but not to bring home any babies or diseases and that she didn't want to hear about it. Strong, smart lady? I don't know. My good friend is and was raised Mormon, and she believes that the act is sacred and be shared in a loving relationship with a loving man. I'm going to interject there. I wasn't born Mormon. I was born Catholic. And now I just call myself Christian. But I believe that too. It says, I am not religious, but I think sex is a natural act that people have made into an emotional decision over the years. Yeah, hear that again. I think sex is a natural act that people have made into an emotional decision over the years. It is simply a natural urge to reproduce. I don't spread my loving all over or anything. And I wouldn't because I like to keep my relationship serious and emotionally connected in that way. But I understand why these people do it. I think I'm being realistic about life and a natural bodily function. Oh, excuse me. And a natural bodily function. I trust your opinion, so let me have it. Eddie.
Wow. I mean, to me, you know... And 5701053, I want to know what everybody thinks. P1s, let me hear it. What do you think of that? Being a married guy, to me, if you're not ready to make a commitment to whoever you're marrying, and by commitment that includes having sex with that person for the rest of your life, and only that person, then you shouldn't get married. That goes for military people, too. I know you're away from your lady, but that is another commitment that you've chosen to do. And it sucks, and it's probably one of the most difficult things you're ever going to have to do, but that's the commitment you chose. You chose to be committed to your woman, and you chose to be committed to the military. And those are two commitments that you don't... You can't break those commitments. And so that's the way it goes. Sky. Wow, man. I'm all over the map trying to figure out my feelings on this. Like, of course, my initial instinct is to be cheating is horrible. No, that's bad. Blah, blah, blah. Then you think of love actually and it can actually be kind of romantic. Yeah, how fun. That's really beautiful and cute and sweet. But then to be apart for three straight years.
That's a long, long time. And on top of that, being in an extremely stressful environment, like, you know, fighting for the military. So if it was your husband, you might let him do it. Go to Bone Town. I mean, is anybody buying this? Who is this person that showed up today? This may be when my dad goes, is she playing? Like, I'm wondering, I'm wondering, is she playing around? I'm telling you, like, if my husband were to come to me and be like, hey, is it OK if I cheat on you? Like, no, of course it's not. We're married people. But to be separated for three straight years and to be in such a stressful environment. And I know how my husband gets after not getting it for like one week straight. Right. Like that you you might consider allowing him to have sex as long as I mean, that doesn't. sound like sky no no like i don't want to allow it but if he was away from me for three straight years and in this stressful place you know you they get leave and they come home and they see you oh how often i don't know depends on every situation let's say they don't i don't know i'm all over the place like i can sympathize with this you know with you know i think we all can
I mean, it sucks. What do we sympathize? I just want to be really, really clear. It's a difficult thing to be away from your loved one. In every way. To not be intimate with somebody for, say, three straight years, to be only with yourself for three straight years in that kind of way. So let's say there's no such thing as leave, and you're not going to see them for three years. You communicate by emails, and maybe occasionally you get real lucky, you get a video conference. You would say to him, see, the reason that it's so hard for me to buy is because you have very, like, you wake up from dreams that you have about your husband being unfaithful, and it makes you insane, and yet you're sitting here saying, if he was away for three years and he wasn't, I know how he is, I might consider, and maybe I'm wrong, maybe you're not saying that. What are you saying? I'm saying that if he's an average Joe working a 9-to-5 living at home, married to his wife, not acceptable. But if you're going to be a couple and be apart for three straight years and be in a very stressful environment, I don't know if I would look at cheating the same way as I would look at it if you're Joe Schmo working a 9-to-5 at home. You know what I mean? To me, it's on two whole different levels.
But I don't know if I can go so far as to condone it. But if my husband cheated on me now today, we would get a divorce immediately. But if my husband was away from me for three straight years, I don't know if that would immediately put us to divorce court if he cheated on me once. You know what I mean? I don't know. I'm just being honest. Like, I'm all over the map with this. Like, I can't. It's not black and white to me right now. I'm not asking if you would get a divorce if he did it. What I'm asking you is if you would be okay with it when he went. You know, like, it's a discussion. That's what it sounds like. That's what it says that I think. I don't know. I don't think. I'm 100% sure I couldn't say to him, it's okay for you to cheat on me. But if I found out that two and a half years into his tour, that he had one night with somebody, and he used protection, and it meant nothing, it definitely wouldn't have the same impact as him cheating here at home. This just in, Bunny Boo just enlisted. Shut up! No, Bunny Boo loves me. I'm sorry, I know it makes no sense, but I'm just being honest about how... Well, that was...
I think that you clarified it a little bit more. If nothing else, you clarified what your thoughts were a little bit more on that one. Yeah. Ashley, what do you think? I think this is a really tricky situation to, like, have an opinion on unless you are in it. Because I know that it can be really hard, especially with everything that's been going on, that a lot of these people get shipped away, departed, when their wives have... Or deported. Deported. When their wives have, you know, babies... I don't know that they get deported either, though. What's it called? Deployed. Deployed. They get deployed when their wives have, you know, they're pregnant and all this. And I think that it's a very special circumstance. And I know that you get more benefits or something like that if you get married in the military. So I understand that that is a very good incentive to get married young. But that doesn't mean that you're still not, you know, going across the country for a couple of years. And that can be tricky and you're still young. And I don't know. I think it depends on the relationship.
The people involved. So you say that there could be a situation where cheating is okay. Yes, I do believe that. What would that look like? What would that relationship look like? I think it would have to be both parties agreeing, like the guy or the girl going to go fight, or the person staying behind. I think they both need to be on the same page with it. And the circumstances surrounding it need to be... It needs to be a compromise. But if that is the situation, then I might be okay with that if I was in their shoes. Because that's tough. So if you were married, okay, if Ashley was married and your husband was going away, you knew it was going to be for three years, and he came to you and he said, hey, listen, babe, this is a long deployment. We both know that. And there's something I just want us to talk about. I just, you know, it's going to be, you know how men are. I have urges. You're not going to be there. It's going to be a difficult, stressful situation. And I just want to know if you would be cool with me having sex while I'm there with someone. And I just want you to know I'll use protection. And I only love you. And I'm not going to be bringing back any babies. And I'm not going to have any relationships. But I just want to know if you'd be cool with that.
I would much prefer that, and I would probably be okay with that if I was in that situation, as opposed to my husband going and cheating on me and not telling me. Gotcha. You know, I would prefer him to tell me and has to have, like, an agreement. Sky, same thing you. Guy says the exact same thing to you. Your husband does. He says, hey, listen, babe, beauty. I'm about to ship out. If you put it that way. I'm about to ship out, and I just want you to know that I love you very, very much, and we're going to be separated for a long, long period of time, and you know how I am, babe. You know how I get. It's so hard for me to fight those urges sometimes, and I'm not going to see you, and so I just want to be up front with you before I go. I don't ever want to lie to you, and I want to see if it's okay if I'm with another woman, I hook up with a girl while I'm there and I use protection and I don't bring back any diseases and you know I love you first and foremost. I just want to know if that would be okay. Well, it again would depend how long the deployment is and if there's any, you know, visits coming home on leave. But if it is like we said. Ask me. I know these answers. I'm your husband. Babe, how long is your deployment? It's going to be three years. Are you getting any leave this time? Well.
They're saying that I probably won't because I'm going to be right there in the midst of the fighting. Front lines. Front lines, so I may not be coming back. Well, to be completely honest, I really hope that you will do everything in your power to stay true to our marriage vows. But I do understand that three years is a long time, and it's a very difficult situation for you, very stressful. feel like it's a necessity if it was something that would um for your mental health i'm not giving you a free pass by any means no i know that um but but i would like obviously for you to use protection absolutely babe and i would like us to never speak about it yeah and and you know done and done done and done i and and babe i just want you to know that i love you Well, you don't need to overdo it. No, no. I just want to let you know that I love you. I'd rather not talk about it anymore. It's very, I mean. Okay. Let's just go on like we never had this conversation, but we now both know where we stand. Well, there you go. We got two women. Who would have thought? I'm in shock. We have two women on the show. Now, I'm just going to. They're drastically different. Yeah. Very different. But I'm just going to.
Tell you. That. And this is a guess of mine. I may be totally wrong about this. I may be totally wrong about this. But my guess is. Most women. Feel just like them. I don't know why I have that feeling. That's crazy. You're the last person in the world sky. That I ever thought would have said that. You're telling me. Ashley is considerably younger. And so I'm taking that into consideration. I'm going this is a very young woman. And so I was taking that into consideration. I was also taking into account that her father has been unfaithful to her mother and that's why they got a divorce. So she comes from that. And so I'm trying to take that into it. I'm like, so her answer didn't surprise me. When you said it, it surprised me. 570-1053. You are listening to The Mikey Show. Say what you have to say.

Eminem's mom is putting out a tell-all book next year where she says her son is a fake. This does not make any sense to me, but the Cowboys' Roy Williams was fined and suspended for one game for his third horse collar tackle. What? Why is he still doing it then? Well, you know, I understand. If they're fining him, why do it? I don't understand getting suspended for a tackle. Well, what if it's a tackle you're not supposed to do? It's so difficult to me. I have a whole take on horse collar tackles. I want to get into it. No, we can't do it now, but we've got to get into it. I want to hear that. Cheating when your spouse is deployed to Iraq. Mikey, I'm in the military and under no circumstances is it okay for your spouse to cheat on you. For one, I'm a married woman. We are both active duty. But the tours that we serve are not longer than 15 months. And that is only in the army. Makes a difference. Marines stay over there seven to eight months unless they're extended. My husband will be deploying to Iraq in July, right after our first child is going to be born. If he cheated on me while in Iraq, no matter the excuse, a divorce would be filed. Once you give the vows to someone you marry, they are forever. Being deployed is no excuse to cheat on someone. Thanks, Corporal Mosley, USMC. Mikey, there are women in the military.
Is it any different if the woman is deployed? It's P1 Brian. Skye, what is the amount of time... How dare you? How dare you, sir? ...that is needed for you to make it okay? Oh, gosh. Yowzer. I'd say... At the very, very minimum, two years. Two years. Two years straight. No, you know, physical, no time to see each other at all. No leave time. Two straight years at a minimum. So 23 months. No way. Right. Sweet. 25 months. All right. It's cool. Have at it. Have intercourse with another woman. Wear a condom, but you can have mad passionate intercourse with another woman.
Hopefully you're thinking of me. No, hopefully you're not thinking of me. Oh yeah, hopefully when you're having sexual intercourse with a stranger. Hey, don't villainize me for sharing my views. I'm illustrating the view. I said to you I didn't want to think about it. I just know that human beings are animals and to expect a man to go two years with no physical contact I think Just a man? A person. What are you doing here at home? Baking brownies and cleaning the bathroom. Really? Reading a good book. Who's buying that? Well, if it's okay for him, is it okay for you? Well, I would assume so. It would apply to both. I mean, that would be a question for him, but I would think it would apply to both. But like I said before... You would make the assumption, right? Yeah. But like I said before, it should... You should try and avoid it at all costs, but, you know. But if it comes down to it, like, let's say there was a Christmas party and there's alcohol involved. A Christmas party and my husband's been away for at least... Two and a half years. Okay, okay. Yeah. Now, you didn't discuss you, but you're under the assumption that it is okay. Well, we would discuss me, but yeah, go ahead. How would you? Because when me and you were doing the role-playing...
I didn't even think to say, we had made this decision, but I didn't even think to go, oh, what about you? And you didn't offer it. No, I didn't bring it up either, but now that I'm mapping out a game plan for when my husband enlists, that would be part of the conversation. You would bring it up. Yeah. Okay, what if as your husband I go, I don't know, babe, I'm not comfortable with that. I'm away. Let's do it. Oh, no. I don't want to do it. Thank you, Chris Crocker. Babe, I don't know. That doesn't seem... The reason I'm not okay with that is because I'm away and I'm in an environment. I'm in a different environment. I'm fighting. I'm having to go to war. I'm in an emotional, fragile state where every single day I'm being tested to the limits. You're here at home sleeping in our bed. You're having all the comforts of home, including your family. Yeah, and I get that, and I sympathize with that. And like I said before, I mean, this is something we're going to try to avoid at all possible costs. I mean, this is not a free pass for either of us, but I'm just saying, if I'm going to say to you, if you get so vulnerable that you feel like you need that physical interaction, then I think it needs to be a two-way street. But the whole reason that I'm in that position is because I'm fighting a war in Iraq.
I know. You're here at home. Which makes it harder for you. But at the same time, I'm going to be alone for, you know, at least two years. Well, I got to tell you, I'm not comfortable with you doing that. Okay, well, then you know what? Let's both suck it up and. Well, but you've already said that it's okay. Well, no, we're having a discussion. And if, you know, this is the way it's going to be, then you know what? Let's just both suck it up. And. And what? And not cheat. Okay. We may be miserable, but. You know what? This is what we're going to do. Okay. You know what? Now, my bag's already packed, so I got to split. All right. Let's give each other a hug and a kiss and, you know, say, I'll call you as soon as I can. Okay. Now, question, Sky. Now, we've done exercise over. All right. Now, Sky, question. Yeah. Totally confident he's going to follow that, right? No. Now, let me give you my opinion because I haven't commented on this yet. I think that it is wrong. Of course, Mike.
No, I don't think anyone is saying it's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, you were saying it was okay. Let me rephrase then. I do not think this is okay. I do not think this is okay. In fact, even to bring it up is going to create what you just saw. It's going to create doubt, question, all the time. All the time. You think when I come home, your husband, now that your husband's had a little taste of a little strange, and when he comes back, it's all, hey, listen, I'm back now. I got you. Oh, yeah. I got you. Hey, Mikey, I can't believe Sky would actually let her husband cheat on her. She's setting the women's movement back at least 50 years. Hey, Sky.
Have some self-respect. Truly yours. Hillary Clinton. Oh, wait. That seems probably not right. I don't think that. Hillary thinks that it is deplorable. I don't think that. I don't know. Let your husband cheat. P1 Jeannie. Jeannie, are you there? Yes. Go ahead. You're on the air. Hello. I was just going to say, both me and my husband are active duty military and Marines. And even if he were to be deployed, he would not be deployed for three years. And I would seriously not let my husband cheat on me. What if, though, wait a minute. Hang on. What if it was 24 months? It still don't matter. He's still my husband. I'm not going to share him with anybody else. That's ridiculous. If someone truly loved you, they wouldn't even ask you that. Even after 24 months? Even after 24 months. What about desires and needs and urges and wants? Stress. Actually, even after a year, they do get leave. What if they didn't? They're not in country more than a year without getting leave. They have to get them out. What if they didn't? They have to. What if they didn't? They say you go crazy. What if they didn't? Right. No, I mean, like, from war or whatever. What if they didn't? They have to get you out. How about if he's stationed somewhere? Say he's stationed in, like, Okinawa. What if they didn't? I was stationed in Okinawa for two years. And he's not.
And then I'd go live with them. But let's say circumstances lead to you not being able to. Yeah. Well, you still have other options. If you didn't. My question is, what if you didn't? What if you didn't, Mike? And it was 24 months. You have two hands, okay? That's an answer. That's an answer. Yeah, it is. Thank you. P1 Ant. Yeah, hey, Mike. How you doing? Just moved here from Chicago. Love you. Love your show, man. Thank you, bro. Hey, I've been in the Navy 20 years. I've been employed nine times, all long time. And I have never cheated on my wife. I've been married 12 years now. And it's never okay to cheat. And I think this guy is tricking his wife. And I think she, maybe she has a low self-esteem. So I guarantee if you ask him, it's not okay for her to cheat when she's here and he's there. Guarantee it. No, sure. Of course it isn't.
So I think you just snowball her. Yeah. You just kind of low self-esteem and says, I want to stay married. So, yeah, go ahead and have all the thing on the side and all that strings you want. And I'll be here when you get back with open arms. That's bullcrap. There you go. Ashley. I'm just wondering then, like, what would be your solution? Because I do know, like, we've taken calls before from people in the military, and they say cheating and shenanigans with cheating and deployment and all of that goes on. All the time. All the time. So what's the solution? Like, wouldn't you rather your husband or wife who's getting deployed be honest and upfront with you? You guys come to a compromise, an agreement where both of you are on the same page. Wouldn't you rather that than the deceiving and the cheating and the behind the back and the not using protection? Yes, I would. Your responsibility. Ashley, absolutely. That's all I'm saying. Yes. Can you hear me? I would absolutely want to come to an agreement. Now, in my situation, that agreement was called our vows. Right. Okay, that was the agreement. In your situation. Yes. Yes. Which is different for many married people, and it doesn't just apply to the military. You know how you were saying, we have heard that in the military, this idea of shenanigans and cheating, it runs rampant. It's very prevalent. Right? You know how we've heard that?
Okay. That's not just in the military. It is. They're right. In the military, it does run rampant and it is a lot. But it's not just in the military. Right. It also happens in what we call the private sector. It happens everywhere. It happens everywhere. I'm referring to this email and this situation. I understand. But in my opinion, it applies whether you're a civilian or whether you're in the military. Whether you're in a high-stress situation that's 23 months away. Or whether you're in a situation where your husband's going out of town on business. The bottom line is, is that this is the way that it's supposed to be. When you make the agreement, when you make the agreement in your vows that you're going to stay true, there is nowhere in the agreement and there is no vows ever in the history of vows that have ever said, I give myself to you and only you, except in a situation where I am deployed. Well, people can write their own vows. Oh, yeah, you can write your own vows and say, I am yours. I am truly yours. However, if you are deployed, I do reserve the right to have sexual intercourse with someone besides you. But only, only in the case where you are going to be separated from me and I'm super horny. And you could underline super horny. And you can bold super horny.
You can bold it. You can put an italic. I can't control my horny level. Just so it is super clear. Now, let me tell you something, ladies. If you find a guy who's willing to do those vows, your alarm clock may go off pretty soon because you're dreaming. I agree with what you're saying. All I'm saying is in this particular email with this guy in this situation, I'm saying, like, how can you... I think it's hard for any of us to put ourselves in his shoes because we don't know what it's like being in his circumstances. Well, you make a great, great point. You make a great point. And what would the solution be? Well, you make a great point. Like, we don't know. So let's talk to some people that do know. Let's talk to some people that are in the military. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true, hee hee. P1 Ward. How are you doing, Mikey? Go ahead. You're on the air. I just want to say that I totally agree with you, Mikey. Both me and my husband are both active duty in the military. And I have been away from my husband for six weeks. I know that's not the six months or the 24 months that you guys are talking about. But, I mean, I didn't cheat on him there. There's no excuse how many months you're deployed that you should cheat on your husband or your wife, for that matter. Ashley, don't you think?
That a promise is a promise? I think a promise is a promise, yes. But again, I'm just stressing with the benefits that come with being married in the military and how much more you get, I see that maybe you would not necessarily force marriage, but you are getting married a little bit younger. And then you're getting deployed. And this is a lot to take on at such a young age when you're still growing up and stuff. I'll agree with you on this. In terms of that, this is what I'll agree with you on. Young people, myself included, when I was young, are stupid. Right. They're stupid. We think we know, when we're young, we think we know everything. Oh, yeah. But I don't just mean like most stuff. We think we know everything. And when somebody older says, you know what, listen, I've been to, our mind immediately goes, oh, there's an old person talking. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, really? Oh, wow. That's great. Uh-huh.
And then in our minds we go, apparently this guy doesn't realize that I'm not 18 anymore. Hello. I understand how life works. Uh-huh. Yes. No, thank you. I appreciate that advice. Thank you, old white sage. That's what we do when we're young. Okay, so I will agree with you that young people, myself included when I was young, are stupid. We think we know everything. And that military incentive, is sometimes it is too much for them to pass up. They need it, man. They need the dough. And very foolishly, because they're stupid, they go, let's get married. I agree with you. I agree with that, Ash. So I won't disagree with that. But I will say this, that once you do it, you're supposed to abide by it. And that would be rad if that was the case. But I'm saying if there's going to be deployment and there's going to be shenanigans, I would much prefer that my husband be honest with me and we come to some type of agreement where we're both comfortable with it and he's honest with me than him doing it behind my back. Tell you what's going to happen. He's going to come back from deployment and he's going to cheat on you. You don't know that. Exactly.
But you don't know that right now. Nobody knows that right now. But I was saying if I put myself in those shoes, that's what I would prefer. That's what I'm saying. That's it. Sky Ash. Sky Ash. That guy, that guy who has that conversation, that guy, he's probably going to cheat. Eddie's not that guy. Eddie's not that guy. Eddie, do you have that conversation with Debra? You're going away three years? No. But Eddie's not going away. He's not at this point in my life. He's not that guy. He's not that person. But he's also not in that situation. It's so much going on with everything. So Eddie, if you were going to be in a situation where you're gone for 24 months, or you're gone for two years, would you become that guy? No. So your vows, and I don't want to speak for you, why wouldn't you become that guy? You got urges? Like I said earlier, I made a commitment. And I'm going to abide by that commitment. Now, I will say this. I don't know that that guy is here in the studio right now. But you heard Eddie. And I believe Eddie. Because I know Eddie. And I've known Eddie for 20-some years. Like you said, there's no asterisk to my vows. He's not that guy. However, that guy exists. And that guy could ask another guy.
May not be in the studio, but we could ask another guy that would go, hey, listen, I don't know. In that situation, you know, it gets a little tricky. That guy exists, Ash. He exists. But there's also the guy that goes, can't do it. Can't do it. I got a commitment. I have a commitment. And if that other guy, you know, the guy that says, you know what, I don't know, I might get horny. Well, no, I will get horny. I'm going to get horny. All right. When I'm away, I mean, for a while, I'm going to want me some. I can't control my horny level. And I know that we're married and everything, but those Bahrain girls, you don't even know, man. Some of those girls are some. Herka, herka. Herka, herka. Herka, herka. You on Bruce Control? Yes. Okay. You have Gundam? So, but what I'm saying, I think when that guy comes back,
That's who that guy still is. He was at, before he went, he's at, when he comes back, phone lines blowing up. 570-1053. I got the biggest smile on my face to hear you in the game. 1053. I just wanted to call about AIS. Tell me about what happened with you and AIS. Ashley told me that you were waiting to tell me. I had an SR-22 from a DUI a couple years ago, and my insurance through Farmers was actually like $450 a month. So I kept hearing you guys talk about them on the radio. So I went down over there, and they saved me like $300 a month. I was paying $450. I pay about $145 now. That's incredible. And that's full coverage with SR-22 filing and everything. I had a lot of these military guys call me, tell me this stuff.
AIS will hook you up, man. They saved me over $3,500 a year. Yeah, that's fantastic, dude. Well, congratulations. All right, thank you. I'm glad we were able to help you. 1-800-777-4247. Monday Night Football last night. Minnesota keeps their hold on a playoff spot in a comeback win over Chicago, 20-13. P1 Vanessa is on the line and says that her husband has been deployed for a while and she lets him cheat. Wow. Is that right, Vanessa? What's that? It's my boyfriend, actually. It's your boyfriend. Yeah, we didn't want to make the decision to get married right before he left just because, you know, we knew we weren't ready for that. You see everybody that does that, and it usually doesn't end well. But he went, and we got two months' notice that he was going to be on. Originally, they said six months to Japan, stationed. And then a month before he left, it got extended to a year and a half, and he's already been to Iraq.
I wasn't dating him then, but he got cheated on while he was over there. And I was the one that brought up the conversation, not him. Oh, and what did you say? Just that I know it's a long time. This is the longest. He's going to be away. After he gets back, he's out. And that I didn't want him to go buck wild or anything. I definitely was not giving him permission to just, you know, pick up everything off the street and go at it. And definitely was going to get tested when he got home before anything happened. What about you? What about you, Vanessa? It was open for me, but I really, you know, it's the person you love is gone. That's the person you love. You don't really, I'm not really attracted to anybody else. That doesn't, that's not appealing to me right now. But that's just for you. That doesn't apply to him. That's not for me, but I understand, guys. It's a, you know, bigger deal for them. Now, when he comes back,
Mm-hmm. And he gets tested, and it turns out that he didn't catch anything. Mm-hmm. And you guys start sleeping together again. Mm-hmm. And do you think that you will ever wonder if he's cheating here? No. Okay. I have complete trust in him. And the thing is, I don't, and I told him, I don't want details, but I do want to know if he's done anything. Mm-hmm. And there's, it's been one girl. He gets back. He's been gone since May. He gets back next September. I have a question. Okay. You know, why have a commitment? Why be in a relationship? You know, write him, certainly be friends, you know, certainly. But why is it important to you to have a commitment with him while he's there? You can call it what you call it. It's not, I don't know that you'd be able to, you know, we're together when you're here, but then you leave and we're just going to be friends. It's still going to be the same relationship regardless of what you're calling it. Well, wait a minute.
You made a decision to change the relationship when he went, when you said that it was okay for him to have sex with other people. So why would it not be okay to augment the relationship and say, hey, listen, during the period that you're gone, so that I could feel sort of respected and kind of respect my values, I don't think that we should be in a committed relationship because commitment implies monogamy, it implies... Well, obviously we're not in that kind of relationship right now. I thought you said he was your boyfriend. He is my boyfriend, but we're not, I guess you'd call it exclusive. I mean, it just comes down to details of the relationship, and this is a detail that I'd rather him be honest with me. I'd rather know about these things than something happens, and I'm completely in the dark about it. So he's like your friend with benefits?
Like, he gets the benefits. They're dating. He gets the benefits. They're dating. They're not exclusive. And I could have the benefits, but it's not appealing to me. Right. Yeah, so you guys are dating. This guy says you guys are dating, but it's not exclusive. At the moment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. Well, there you go. There's some people's problem with it. Definitely. It's not like I'm completely naive and going, why is everybody upset about this? It's definitely a personal choice. No, no, no. I understand. Vanessa, when does he come home? Mm-hmm. When does he come home? September. He comes home September 08. Right. Okay. I would like for you to give me a call December 17th, 2008. And I want to get an update. Oh, yeah. And the other thing that makes it... Can you do that? Vanessa, will you do that? Will you call me December 17th of 2008? I don't know that you guys can get rid of me. This is Vanessa from The Apprentice. Oh, Vanessa from The Apprentice.
Oh, I know. We know her. That's crazy. Wow. That changes. And the thing is, this guy has been my best friend for almost three years. And it was something like it took... Okay, hey, hey, pause, pause. Hang on, Vanessa. I got to let all the P1s know. I know this girl. I know this girl. So now that I know that I know you, what are you, nuts? What are you doing? What's the matter with you? That's crazy. This guy, this is a friend of mine. I know her. Vanessa, what are you, nuts? Well, you don't have... He's a friend. If he's a friend, you listen. What do you mean? Let me ask you a question here. That's a witch cracker and chopped liver. My boyfriend's over here. My boyfriend's over here. Michael Corleone did this. Michael Corleone did that. Two times. My boyfriend, Michael Corleone, he said he wanted to have sex when he went away. Oh, gosh.
And then when he came back, I said, so, what'd you do when you were there in Iraq and you were getting horny? That's a witch cracker and chopped liver. And he said, yeah, I did this. I did that. And I said, yeah, sure. Vanessa. It's garbage. Okay. Call me in a year, Vanessa. Like you guys were saying, you don't know until you're put in that situation. This is a situation I never thought I was going to be in. I definitely did everything. I'm going to. Listen. I'm just going to give you my opinion. I'm going to give you my opinion. Maybe I'm right. Maybe I'm wrong. It's just my opinion. It's just the way Mikey sees it. That's all. But the way that I see it, Vanessa, is that I think that you are, I think that there's some insecurity issues. There's some self-esteem issues. Oh, there definitely are. There definitely are. And you said to yourself, this is a, and I don't know that he's good looking. I'm going to take a guess he is.
I'm going to take a guess. He's good looking. And I'm going to say that what you said, Vanessa said to herself, I got myself a good looking Marine. I don't know if he's Marine or army or whatever. Let's say Marine. Okay. And she said to herself, I got my, I got myself a good looking Marine. And when, let me tell you something. And this guy takes his shirt off. He looks good. And you know what? And you know what? He's mine. He's my Marine. And let me tell you something. This is what Vanessa's thinking. Let me tell you something. I've been out there in the dating world and it sucks. It's hard. It's hard for us ladies these days. The competition is fierce. It's fierce. I mean, I think I'm a pretty okay looking gal, but let me tell you something. I turn on the TV and you see these hot starlets, these You know, you see these Paris Hiltons and all these chicks, man, and guys are, and you go to the clubs and you see the way the girls are dressed at the clubs. I am lucky to have this guy. I'm lucky to have this guy. And you want to know something? I ain't losing him. And I will, I will do whatever it takes for us to, I have an idea. I'm going to, this guy's going to think I'm so cool. I'm going to tell him that while he is deployed.
Hang on. Hang on. Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. Oh, I got a retort. Don't worry. Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. But I'm going to put it out there. Okay? I'm going to tell him that when he goes... In fact, she brought it up, which is even more telling to me. When he goes, he can... Listen, don't make a big habit out of it. And I'm sure he'll... He'll stay by that. In fact, in fact, in fact, wait, wait, wait, wait. In fact, Skye, in fact, Skye. What? You know, he'll have his first a-ba-doop-a-da-doop-a-da-doop-a-da-doop, right? Well said. Right? And then, the next night, he'll go drinking with his buddies, right? Still on leave out there, right? Okay. And he's going to see another hot girl. And he's going to go, Oh, wait a minute. She said not that often. Like, don't make a habit out of it. She said don't make a habit out of it. I better not make a habit. I better not make a habit out of it. Well, this is the way I see it. So, no, I can't. You know what? I would, but I had one last night, and I made an agreement that I won't do it all the time. And so... How about this? Yeah, I gotta pace myself. How about this, Mike? On vagina. I have to... I have a... Listen, I have... No, no, no, no. Wait, hang on. Lay off.
Why are you beating the girl down? I'm explaining my thought. Hang on. I'm boyfriend guy. I have a quota. We didn't say a specific number. Eddie, you're my bro in the military. What do you think? What's a fair number of vag? I would say no more than one a week. No more than that, right? If you go more than one a week, you're a pig. Yeah, definitely. Definitely, bro. Blank my blank and blank you. And I'm sure Eddie will stop me. Because he's my bro. You know, so he'll stop. Yeah, I don't have a girlfriend, so we're all going out tonight. I mean, you haven't done anything this week. I'm good. I'm in. I'm in. So how about this? How about Vanessa is fresh in a relationship and she thinks maybe it's a little bit unreasonable to be in a monogamous relationship over long distance, over a long period of time when it's so new. So you know what? Let's slow it down a little bit. Let's not be exclusive. And then when you come back, we will reevaluate and see if we want to be together. It's like you read my mind. Thank you. Listen, now, that's not your boyfriend at that point. That's not your boyfriend. I mean, it was for a second. What I can and cannot call it. Well, he's not your boyfriend. If you have that conversation that Sky just said, if you have that conversation, he's not your boyfriend. And when he gets back, maybe he will be your boyfriend.
But, you know, he's not your boyfriend if he's... According to Mike's terminology. What it comes down to is, I know his feelings about me. I know the kind of person he is. I know the kind of person he truly is. He's helped me through a lot of things in my life, in past relationships, because I said we were best friends for years before anything ever happened. And I know that he's got something great to come home to. And I am more than confident that that's going to be enough. Well, Vanessa, you've actually now, you've kind of set a precedent of who Vanessa is in his mind. Because you brought it up to him. He didn't even have to bring it up. You brought it up to him. And so now the bar's been set. He's like, huh, I kind of know who I'm dealing with here. He's thinking to himself, there are a lot of girls who would have never said that to me. And So then he does it behind their back. Ashley, does Eddie do that behind the back? Eddie's married. Vanessa is in a new relationship. Time out. There's a huge difference. Time out, because I know where Ashley's going with it. Ashley's saying it like, it don't matter. If the guy is married, he'll say, I'm not going to cheat, and then he'll do it behind the back, right? No, but I'm saying that if... You were implying that unless he's confessing it, it doesn't happen, and it's like...
It'll still happen behind your back. They just won't tell you. If it's the wrong guy. Not necessarily. Oh, it could be the right guy. I agree. Some guys will do that. They'll take advantage of the situation. The wrong guy. You know, his name's Mr. Wrong. You know, Ash, every guy you've ever dated, Mr. Wrong. That's the truth. You, Vanessa, you set up a situation for him to be Mr. Wrong. When he comes back from deployment, he knows who you are now. He knows who he's dealing with. He's dealing with a girl that says, have that. Now, now, now, now, now. I don't want to know too much about it and don't go crazy. Don't go crazy with it. But, you know, I know you have urges. So, you know, take care of them. Let's don't talk. Don't ask. Don't tell. That's crazy. Now, that guy is going to be dating that girl when he gets back. And he's going to be back here. And he's going to see girls out when she's not around. But I'm sure he'll be really, he'll be, you know, real good then. He'll be good. With most guys, I would agree with you. But again, it comes from a relationship of being friends. And he really did know me before we even. Well, if he's not most guys, and he's not that guy that I just described, let me tell you what Mr. Right.
Would do. Mr. Right, somebody like Eddie, would have been in a relationship with you, been your boyfriend, and said, I'm not doing that. Sorry. I'm not doing that. In fact, it kind of freaks me out that you said that. I can hear Eddie saying this in my head. So let me ask you. Eddie, what would be your response if you were totally into Vanessa, you're dating. I'm not saying he jumped at the chance here either. He did not. This was not a, oh, really? Oh, so he said, no way, and I can't do that. He at first was very reluctant to it. But, oh, God. I mean, Vanessa, you can hear yourself, right? I know. You hear it, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. She hears it. She hears it. All right, well, Vanessa, I'm not trying to, I'm going to say this. I'm not trying to beat up on anybody. What I'm trying to do is illustrate that there is,
always consequences to our choices. That's all. There's just consequences to our choices. And sometimes we set it up a certain way. And no, Ash, not every guy is going to do that. The wrong guy will do that. Mr. Wrong will do that. I didn't say every guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So only the wrong guy. The wrong guy will do that. Mr. Wrong. If you say, To a guy, here's the situation, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you're finished, and you say, I don't want to do too much, but okay. And he says to you, wow, reluctance, reluctance. Hmm, I'm a little reluctant, and reluctant, and okay. Wrong guy. Here's the deal. Go ahead. If, for me, if I'm not that serious about this girl, and I don't see myself marrying this girl, I will accept that, no problem. Of course. You got it, lady. Right. I'm in on that. But if I am thinking, you know what, I love this woman, and this is a woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. Be the mother of my children. Yeah. Then, like, now I'm like, now I'm questioning why I, what I even seen. Right. And this, listen, the deal of they're doing it anyway, right? The wrong one is doing it anyway. The wrong dude is doing it anyway. P1 Podcast is on the line.
Hey, guys. How's it going? What's up? Hey, you know, I'm prior military, and I'm really surprised I haven't heard this word yet. But the thought about prostitutes, I mean, if a person's deployed, with a prostitute, there's no emotional tie. I mean, I'm not saying it's okay, but with a prostitute, there's no emotional tie. It's basically a business transaction. Their purpose is to provide a relief. and you're probably never going to see them again, and you're not really maintaining any kind of relationship. So, I mean, and then it's from a guy's point of view, when the person's deployed the spouse, it's not okay for them to be cheating, even if there is a prostitute stateside, you know, because like someone had said earlier, it's the environment that you're in. I mean, you know, if you're deployed, you're in a, you know, fighting for your country or what what have you i mean it's it's kind of different but then wow i hadn't really thought of the prostitute angle yeah well i mean the thing is man you're kind of getting me with this one i mean but what if they tell me they want to love me long time like long time i mean that's a commitment yeah i mean it's really making me reevaluate everything like i hadn't thought of the whole prostitute part of it that's the way to go this guy what do you mean stop it why are you saying that
I'm just telling you what I've seen. Yeah, and I see what he's saying. Yeah, tell me, Skye, explain. Because... First, you had to take off your clothes. Thank you. Because there's a difference between a business transaction than actually... Who is this person? I'm sorry? Wow. No, we interrupted. Go ahead, Skye. Go ahead. Well... Now, this is going back to the thought of the three-year deployment that doesn't exist. Two-year. Let's call it two. Okay, which doesn't exist. So we're still in pretend land. But to me, if I was in that situation, I would feel better with a prostitute than with... Yeah, how come? Because there's no feeling involved. Like you said, it's purely about getting a release, about satisfying an urge. There's nothing... It doesn't go further than that. Yeah. Well, then there we go. Prostitutes are okay. No one is saying that. In that situation. No one is saying that. In that situation. No one is saying that, Mike. Prostitutes are not okay. No, Mike, everything isn't so black and white. Explain that middle part I'm missing. Prostitutes are okay sometimes.
I'm just saying, if you're... Forget it. Never mind. There's no point. There's no point. I'm horrible. I'm not saying you're horrible. Yes, I'm a dirty whore, Mike. What was that, Sky? Shut up. Merry Christmas. Listen, I think for some people it may be a black and white. For some people. And then for some people, maybe there's some gray area there. Some negotiation. What they call a little wiggle room. Well, it is a black and white issue with me. Mike was here. The Mikey Show continues. Mike is a f***. 105.3. No! Well, that topic generated some phone calls and some emails. Oh, yeah. Welcome back. It's 832. Michael Jackson was photographed over the weekend shopping with bandages all over his face. Oh, thank goodness. Tony Romo's thumb is okay, and he should play against Carolina. Jessica Simpson, breathe easy. Good, good time. I wonder if she's going to be at all the games. Oh, that is a bad idea. Cowboy fans hate her. Is that for real? Yeah, that's the thing right now going around that they're calling her a jinx. And they do not want her to go to any more games. Yeah, do you want to hear what the sports writer... They only lost a game, I mean...
Dude, this was in the Dallas Morning News. Quote, no wonder Tony Romo hasn't completed a pass. Jessica Simpson wearing a white and pink Romo jersey is sending him bad vibes from the luxury suite. Jessica owes it to her man to leave at halftime, although that would mean sacrificing valuable FaceTime on national TV. Don't count on it. Oh, man. That's awesome. Oh, my. That's brutal. Although I will say this. The two times he brought his girlfriends, Carrie Underwood last year and Jessica this year, Dallas is lost. Oh, dude, you can't do that. Well done. Don't do it then. Jinx. Don't do it. She's like Oliver from the Brady Bunch. It's time to do some Secret Santa stuff. What do you say? What we're doing is we're asking people if they would like to get involved with Secret Santa, go to MikeyShow.com. It's M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Tell us about somebody that you know that is in need this holiday season. Tell us about somebody that you know, and it could be even yourself. It could be a co-worker. It could be a family member. It could be anybody that you care about. Let us know if you know somebody that needs help this holiday season. And we're trying to help them out with Secret Santa. We got this email that says, Mikey, I just recently lost my job and I'm going out every day to fill out job applications. There's been no luck so far.
My son just had a birthday, which I couldn't pay for. But my brother gave me money so he could have a good birthday. If you could make it happen, a job would be nice. But I know that's unlikely. So if my son only could have one present this year for Christmas, I wish I could get him a Fisher-Price KidTough digital camera because he loves taking pictures and always asks to use other people's cameras. That's from P1 Dwayne. Dwayne, are you there? Is it, Murph? How are you, man? It could be better, but I'm alive. Yeah. Hey, listen, the job thing, I think every single one of us listening knows what that's like. I think every single one of us has been through the job situation. And at this time of year, it's just terrible, man. What do you do for a living? I'm working out of shipping, basically. What do you do in shipping? What do you do? Well, my last job, I was like the lead shipper. I worked with FedEx.
and UPS, but shipping stuff for our company to different places around the world and basically in charge of other people, driving a pork whip around, loading up stuff onto trucks and stuff like that. Dwayne, what's been the issue in trying to find a job in that field? I just haven't submitted a lot of resumes, been to a lot of websites, submitted a lot of applications. I've been looking not only for shipping, but like anything, I've been going to department stores. I just haven't had any return calls. How old is your son? My son just turned four. Well, Dwayne, one of the cool things about the Mikey Show is that we have a lot of listeners, man. We have a lot of listeners. And maybe there's somebody listening right now that heard that and they say, hey, maybe you heard what he does for a living. And maybe you know of a job that you have for him or that you could turn him on to. And if you do. Write us. Go to MikeyShow.com. Send us an email. But in the meantime, Dwayne, what's your little boy's name? Caden. His name is Caden? Yes. Well, we're definitely going to supply you with that Fisher Price KidTough digital camera for him. And we're also going to give you a $100 gift card to Toys R Us. And hopefully you can go in there and...
Just get him a whole bunch of stuff to go along with that camera. And this Christmas will be a little bit better than it would have been. Well, Dwayne, we were talking about it earlier. And really, man, that's what Christmas time is all about, is trying to help people that don't have as much as we do. And so it makes us really happy to be able to help you and Caden out. And hopefully he has a really good Christmas this year, man. We appreciate it. You got it. I'm going to put you on hold, and we're going to get all the information from you that we need and let you pick up this camera, okay? Hey, and make sure you take some pictures and send them to us. I definitely will. All right. Hang on the line, man. All right. Thanks. Now, if you want to nominate somebody, go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. We're calling it the Mikey Show Secret Santa, and basically what we want to do is...
We want to make your Christmas wishes come true. If you have somebody that you think deserves something very special this year but can't do it on their own, or even if it's yourself, just go to MikeyShow.com, click on Secret Santa, and let's help some people out. And Romo's thumb is okay. That's what they're saying. He had an MRI on it and it checked out. I need him in fantasy football this weekend. So that is a good sign for me. Why, just because you're in the championship? I'll be playing in the championship and I have no chances of winning, Eddie. It's going to be difficult for you. I say that my chances of winning, I'm not going to give you a dramatic or exaggerated percentage chance. Okay. This is real. I believe that I do have a 2% chance of winning. I believe I have a 2% chance. You have more than a 2% chance. 4%. No. You cannot go higher than 5%. I think 5% is way too high. You have a legitimate chance just like any week because look at what happened this week with Tom Brady having a bad week and Tony Romo having a bad week and Randy Moss and all the big names didn't have big weeks.
whoever your opponent is, their guys could legitimately have bad weeks, and you could have a great week. I'm playing Brian Wilson. I'll give you 25%. Eddie, that's ridiculous. It's not ridiculous. I've seen it happen before. 25%. Listen to Brian Wilson's starting lineup. It's good. This is his starting lineup. He's got Drew Brees at quarterback. Now he is weak at running back. Weak. His running backs are as follows. Adrian Peterson. Ernest Graham. Who's only been putting up like, I don't know, 20 points a game or something. LaDainian Tomlinson. Oh, that guy. So he's got to take a pick, by the way. You start two. Well. So, hmm, which one should I sit down? And they're all amazing. This would be crazy. But if I were him, I would sit LT. What? Why? That's crazy. Oh, because he might not play. He's only going to play at least a half.
And so, because the Chargers have everything wrapped up. They don't have anything to play for. It's impossible! Why get them hurt? And Minnesota and Tampa... Well, Tampa Bay kind of has everything wrapped up, too. Maybe LT Adrian Peterson. You know what? It's a win-win. Sorry, Mike. We're both right. At wide receiver, he has Braylon Edwards. He's pretty good. He's real good in fantasy football. You know, Cleveland's going against a really tough Cincinnati Bengals defense. They only scored 51 on them last time. They did? Yeah. So, yeah, he's got Braylon Edwards and Randy Moss. Oh, well, you know, here's another good news. The Patriots are playing the Dolphins this week. Well, I said to... I said to a friend of mine last week, I go, hey, listen, I go, I'm not worried about Randy Moss. They're probably not going to play him. They don't have anything to play for. They locked everything up. And he goes, I do, though. They do have something to play for. Yeah, they have this little thing called 16-0 that they're going for. That's right. And they all have said to a man, they want it. They want that record. You know what? I want them to have it.
I do, too. I hate the Dolphins. I don't remember when, but there was some point early in the season I made some stupid comment. I go, I think that these Patriots could go undefeated and win the Super Bowl. I said, I think they could be that good. I didn't mean it. Look what you did. Brian Wilson's on the line. Hi, Brian. How are you, buddy? Nice to hear your voice. What are you doing, dude? Well, whatever. I'm scared. He did. I heard it. At tight end, he's got Vernon Davis. The kicker, he's got Nick Folk from the Cowboys and his defense is Seattle. That's pretty good. That's a pretty good lineup. I do not have a lineup that good. You're not that bad. It ain't that. That's true, Mike. But I'm giving you a 25% chance. My starting lineup consists of Tony Romo at quarterback. Yeah. Thumb injury. Willie Parker at running back.
Fumble Ruski. Clinton Portis at running back. Inconsistent. Oh, man. Aaron Stecker at running back. Who? Aaron Stecker. He's the guy that this last weekend scored 22 points in our league. Really? Never heard of it. Joey Galloway at wide receiver along with Chad Johnson. Two turds. Well. Two turds. Not doing anything. But they could have big weeks. You just never know. Antonio Gates at tight end. Back injury. Mason Crosby, the kicker for Green Bay. That's good. That's good. Yeah. That's my one shining star. Has he been good? Dude, he's killing it. Really? Yeah, he's killing it. In fact, this last weekend he scored me 16 points. Holy cow. Yeah. Going back to last few weeks, 16 points, 8 points, 10 points, 13 points. Not bad.
Yeah. Not bad. And the Vikings D. Well. All right. 25%, huh? Okay. 25%. Yeah. 24. 24%. 22. It's impossible. It's impossible. Let's go. I said four. Okay. Well. At the highest. That could be right. Matthew McConaughey injured himself training for a new movie. Yeah. I guess he's doing some UFC type training for this new movie. Absolutely. Matthew McConaughey as a UFC guy. Break me out of a piece of that. I love that. So they haven't said specifically what his injury is, but he's been seen walking around town with a bandage over his left eye. Eddie, if you had to pick a TV mom to be your mom, who would it be? Sean's mom. Sean's mom? Wait a minute. Wait a second. Wasn't she on a TV show?
Am I confusing somebody? Probably. I think you're probably thinking of Carol Brady, Florence Henderson. I don't know. Anyway, that's a great question. I've always said my mom, again, no offense, Sean, is Mrs. Cleaver. Yeah. Because my mom is like the ultimate mom. She's great. Well, Beaver. Right, because you're the bee. I get it. I don't want you to get all fussy. Whatever. I'm going to say somebody that may not be top of mind, but the mom from Growing Pains. Oh, yeah. I always thought she was really cool. Carol Seaver? Carol Seaver. No, yeah, Carol was the daughter. That was Maggie. Maggie. Maggie Seaver. Maggie Seaver. From Growing Pains. From Growing Pains. I just always thought she was cool. Kirk Cameron's mom. Yeah, she was cool. She was kind of hip. That's crazy! I would say her. Interesting. What about you, Sky?
Oh, people call us too. Who would you want to be your TV mom? Who's on TV that you could say, you know what? That could be my mom. Your wife just I am me the mom from Friday Night Lights. Oh, that's... Absolutely. You can't pick it, you guys. I wouldn't want that because she's too hot. Yeah. I don't want to go through what Sean does. She's so awesome. She's so awesome. Did you see what she did to her daughter? No, I don't watch that show. Oh, so good. Embarrassed her in front of a small school. She kind of did. What did she do? She thought that this new teacher, this new hot teacher guy, had the hots for her daughter and thought that their friendship was inappropriate and scolded him in front of other students and then it spread like wildfire and now everybody thinks she's doing it with the teacher. Well, she realized she made a mistake, though. Well, yeah, but she... That doesn't really sound like something that she would do. That surprises me. Well, the post-pregnancy hormones. Lots going on there, Mike. What did Coach Taylor think of that? He's too busy. He's got smash problems. Yeah. He's out of the loop. Smash has turned into a diva. Turn into? It's getting worse now with the colleges courting him. Wow, then. Let's get back to the phones, then. Who would you pick, Skye? Well, I had two choices. I had to narrow it down. At first, I was thinking the mom from The Cosby Show because she's a very strong, independent woman. Oh, boy. But then I found a better pick.
A better pick. Everything got to be politically correct. I am going with Elise Keaton from Family Ties. She was a Democrat. But at the same time, she accepted her son's Republican ways and let him be his own man, but still sticking true to her views. So you would want a mom that's not like you, but you would like that she was like that. I'm like that. But you hate me. That's not true. Hate's a very strong word. That's not the word I would choose, Mike. There's a lot of other words. Well, I was going to say strongly dislike, but I'm like, no, it's way worse than that. What's in between strongly dislike and hate? Yeah, is there something in between there? Kind of hate. Minimal hate. Ashley, what's that look on your face? What does that look mean? Ah, the love in the room during the holidays, huh? That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm trying to say. P1, Chris has who mine would be. Who? Go ahead, Chris. Yeah, I need help with her name. Abby. Abby. But what's the actress's name from 8 is Enough? The woman that played Abby on 8 is Enough was Betty Buckley. Betty Buckley. Wow. Points. Betty Buckley. She was also a teacher in the movie Carrie. Okay. What's that?
She's got kind of a sultry thing about her. That's not really why I was going with her as, you know, not necessarily, but hey, to each their own. To each their own. But yeah, that is who I would choose. She was very caring. You know, she came into that family. Oh, here we go. Not as their real mother yet. She still, all she cared about was their love, loving them. Isn't she like the same age as Elizabeth though? I mean, isn't that awkward? She was not the same age as Elizabeth. That old daughter was... Mary. Mary. Yeah, she was creepy. Mary. Mary, you know, she had a husky voice. Very butch. She was definitely, you know, she later became, she had a sex change operation. Yeah, you could tell. She became a man. Who was the one that married the baseball player? Was that Elizabeth? Yes. Okay. Great show. The baseball player was like a country guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's great. And then he got hurt. It is funny. How about Tommy's friend, Ernie? Yeah, your favorite guy. Driving in that VW bus. Yeah. You know that guy with a pothead. A little scamp, Nicholas. A little scamp. What's that guy up to? He's so precocious, right? Well, he was. So precocious. Whatever. Pew and Kim. Yeah. Hey, go ahead. Who would you want to be your mom? I would pick Samantha from Bewitched. Why?
She was awesome. She's a witch, man. She can give you anything. A little twinkle of the nose. Bam. Yeah, but what if you do something bad? What if she was going to punish you? And you can just wiggle your nose and get what you want. She wasn't like that, though. She's not an evil witch, dude. She didn't do bad stuff. Oh, you didn't see her daughter made her mad. You would like her, though, Kim, because is that why you would like her to be your mom so she could wiggle the nose and make cool stuff happen for you? She was just a cool TV mom. Yeah. Yeah, she was. She definitely was. I was just a little mischief, you know? Yeah. No, I agree. Thank you very much. P1's still sleepy. He's on the line. Hi. Who would you pick? I would totally pick Mrs. Foreman from that 70s show. I've never seen an episode of it. That is awesome. What does she like, Skye? Why? Yeah, what does she like? She's cool. She's always trying to be the homemaker and keep everybody happy, but then like every once in a while, she'll snap. What are you eating? Jalapeno popper. But she'll snap. But when she snaps, it's like funny. It's all right. I kind of like it. I think it's funny. It actually brings the highs down. It did. I was like, gosh, that sounds really good. Keep eating that. I'm endorsing you. What is it? A little bit of hate? Kind of hate? It's growing. But Mrs. Foreman is a great call. I disagree. You wouldn't really want her as your mom. She's so cool, though. You're just a pothead.
What? What does that have to do with it? P1 Turtle said, yeah, that Kitty Foreman is the best. I've never seen one episode of that thing. Oh, you're missing out, dude. P1 Hybrid, you there? Yes. What's up? I'm going to go for the lady from Facts of Life. Mrs. Garrett. Mrs. Garrett? She wasn't a mom. Yeah, dude, but you know what the thing about Mrs. Garrett? Mrs. Garrett was very understanding. Exactly. She was very understanding. Like, she took the good, she took the bad, she took them both, and then she had the facts alive. The facts alive. Never been. Well said. To be living up to your dreams. Thank you. P1 Danielle's on the line. Hi. Hi. Shirley Partridge, hands down. Hands down. It's tough. It's a single mom. Could be tough times. Honey, date. So you would say, what was her name? Shirley. Shirley. I always forget that name. Yeah, thank you very much. Why, though? What about her? What was she good? See, you know, it would have been fun, you know, driving around on a bus all day. This guy reminds me of Daughtry. He does. Always reminds me of Daughtry. Yeah, kind of.
No, there's something about his voice that's always reminded me of Daughtry. It's that string. Like, yeah, the string. What are these other ones? That was a jam. I don't know this, though. Sean, what's your problem? You don't like the Partridge family? No. You don't? I don't like the music. I don't like the smog. What about that precocious little redhead? You know something? You suck. What about that guy? What about Danny? What about the weird manager guy that you knew something was going on? Something was up with that guy. Something was going on. I don't want you around my sons. Yeah. All were thinking. Yeah, I think we were all thinking it. That manager guy. I'm glad you said it finally. Sam the Butcher, whatever his name is. It was not Sam the Butcher. My little drummer kid. Yeah, that's right. Hey, get out of here, guy. Manager. Hey, hey, hey. Mind your manners. Get out of here. You've been hanging out here too long.
You're not that good of friends with them, okay? Seriously. The jig is up. Hey, and take your stupid beanbag with you. And that lava lamp. Yeah, we know what that means. Mm-hmm. We sure do. We do? You know what it means, you rascal. P1 Hamburglar's on the line. Thank you. Peggy Bundy. Oh, yeah, you want her as your mom? Why? You want a hot mom? That's a hot mom. That's so creepy. That would be like Sean liking his situation. Yeah, which we know he can't because his mom is so gorgeous. Sean, who would you want as your mom? What TV? I was leaning toward... Well, I'm not going to say it. Say it! No, no. It's been fun of me. Honestly, I was thinking about June Cleaver because, first of all, I like the show a lot. Well, yeah, he's the beef, dude. Well, of course he's going to say it. It has nothing to do with that. You're the beef.
Shut up. You think she was like real vapid, you know? Vapid? No, I don't. I thought she was really sincere. What does that mean? I thought she was a very caring mother. And I thought that she knew her place. Very vapid women on television. Not vapid at all. Not vapid at all. Did anyone hear Sean say she knew her place? Ultimately, I think I would go. Oh, I did not hear that, Sean. She did. Ultimately, though, I think I would go with Judith Light from Who's the Boss. That's a good call. Because I really like the show, but I thought she was a cool mom, but she was a very nurturing mom. She raised a gay son. I realize that. So are you leaning that way? I will equate June Cleaver. June Cleaver to me was they redid June Cleaver in Beverly Hills 90210 with those two parents. Oh, the Walshes? Dude, the Walshes may have been the most vapid They took no interest in their kids' lives. None. But their lives were so uninteresting. That's true. I mean, just uninteresting. Cindy Walsh. Oh, dude. Thank you. Jim? Yeah, I think so. Jim and Cindy Walsh. Nice. The worst parents ever. Mikey Show. P1 Third Day fan is on the line. Hey, guys. What's going on? What's up, dude? I'm leaning towards Marion Cunningham from Happy Days.
I don't know, man. She would annoy me, I think. Nothing to it. Nothing to her. I mean... Well, she's that perfect mix of, like, you know, being neurotic, but still really loving and still trying to kind of put on that, you know, that act that, hey, you know, my kids are crazy. I have this crazy guy living in the apartment in our garage, and everything's still fine. You know, everything's, you know, happy-go-lucky. Everything's peachy keen. That is kind of funny, and it is kind of, it's kind of like my mom. Thank you for the call. Brian Wilson's in the studio. Yo, what up, me dub? Good morning, everybody. Ryan, who would be your... What TV mom would you choose to be your mom? Probably like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. Something like that. She wasn't a mom. She wasn't a TV mom. She wasn't a TV mom. My bad. You're a freak. I'm just thinking of hot chicks as well. Well, that's weird. That's your mom. It's your mom. Real world, I'd probably have Marion Russ. I mean... Mrs. C? Yeah, Mrs. C. She was an Aztec as well. She went to San Diego State.
You're a strange person. He's such a homer. That's why. Freak. Such a homer. Everything has to go back to that. Roseanne. You can do whatever you want to do. What? Roseanne. I don't know. You can do whatever you want to do. I can't think of anybody else but my mom. Did you hear the conversation about our fantasy football championship this weekend? I heard yesterday morning. No, no, no. You didn't hear about it today? I haven't heard today yet. Eddie and I were talking about my... We gave a percentage of what my chances are against your team. A predictor? Yeah. What was the percentage? I stick with my percentage, Eddie. Okay. I have, and this is legitimate. I mean it. And I'm not trying to show off. I have at least a 2% chance of beating your team in the fantasy football playoffs. I'm not trying to show off. That's a tough one. Big talk, Mike. It's just that I know that I have enough firepower in Tony Romo to at least give you 2% of a game. You know, you and your LT and your Adrian Peterson and your Ernest Graham and your Randy Moss and your Drew Brees who's firing it up right now. Nick Folk. Nick Folk. The Seattle defense who killed it this last weekend. Braylon Edwards, don't forget. Braylon Edwards. Seattle had zero points.
But do you start Ernest Graham? So they're no good. Do you start Ernest Graham? Or do you start LT? Or do you start Adrian Peterson? I think you should sit LT just to kind of rub it in. Well, remember, LT only played a half in this game. That could have came back to bite me in the tail. What if the Chargers now clinch third place early on or they find a way and they go and sit him against the Raiders? I mean, that could very well happen. Well, the championship game is this week. Yeah, it's Denver. It's over two weeks. It is? The Super Bowl, just like it was last year. I think it's over two weeks. No. I'm pretty sure it is. You mean you think that it goes, it takes place over two games? It did last year. Or two weeks of games? I'm almost positive it's over two weeks. Call Microsoft, Ashley. He's the commissioner. You're the commissioner, too. What are we talking about? That's what I'm saying. From what I understand and what I remember, it was, I think, over two weeks, the Super Bowl is. I don't ever remember. Well, it wasn't the year that I won the championship. That was so long ago. No one remembers that. It was 05, bro. Oh, okay. You don't have to hold up your ring. Listen. How many times? Why is it on the middle finger? Yeah, 2% chance. Wow. Easy, Lou Holtz. You know, dumbing it down. I just want to go out there and give a valiant effort. We're just going to try to come and play the hardest we possibly can. I said to him, I said, listen, I give him a 25% chance. And that's only because...
We saw what happened this week with Tom Brady, with Terrell Owens, with all the big guns. They all had terrible weeks. Your team could potentially have a bad week, and he could have a great week, and you never know. Me and Brian Wilson are playing in the Super Bowl against each other, and we'll have a real quick press conference, about 40 seconds. Does anybody have any questions for either one of us owners? I do have a question. I have a question. Eddie. Yes, Mikey, do you completely give up? before the game has even started, or are you actually going to show up? I say never give up completely, but I give myself next to no chances. Anybody else? Yes, Brian from Reuters. Brian Wilson, go ahead. Question for you. Reuters. Team 88. I have Reuters right now, but I'm using preparation H, and they're starting to go down. The question is for Team 88. When you write a check for all your transactions, do you write a cashier's check, or do you get a money order for $500? I see where you're going with that. You have to take up a small loan. You have to take up a small loan. I do have a lot of transactions, I think, as a point. Anybody else? I do, I do. Yes, go ahead, Mr. Payne. This is Eddie Papani from Fantasy Football. Freely. Yeah, go ahead. Famous show.
Do you consider yourselves the Yankees of the Fantasy Football League as you are basically buying your championship? Well, first of all, I'd like to respond to that. We can't buy good players like the Yankees do. All we can do is try to be smart about it and pick up guys like Aaron Stecker, who no one knows about. And don't play him. And then sit him down on the vice of a really good, close, personal friend. Wow, sounds like a good move. Brian from O Magazine. Do you feel pretty good knowing that you've been able to make transactions and have guys still play where the team that has Tom Brady as a starting quarterback has a bunch of running backs that never play? How about that? I don't know. Thank you, Brian Wilson. It was a pleasure. He's a good guy, Brian Wilson. He's funny. Hey, listen to this. There's a new talent agency in New York City hiring ugly people. Apparently they've been doing it in the UK for a while, but now they've got offices in New York City and the business is booming. The owner is a guy from the UK named Simon Rogers. Now, why is everyone from the UK named Simon? Why? Don't they have other options? He's beautiful. Let's call him Simon. That is a far out question. You know, like your uncle Simon and your father Simon. Right. Anyway, this is Simon Rogers explaining the look that the agency is looking for. Cut four.
It's not like I'm tired of looking at really super attractive people. Like I say, there's always a place for Victoria's Secret girls in their underwear, but I just need a little more. Something about them has to be unique and interesting, and they have to be representative of a certain kind of person. You know, the whole gamut. Well, then why don't you get chubby ones? Utterly horrendous. Should be chubby ones. That's all I'm saying. Action 5. Action 5. Jackson 5. Nice. I have to tell you something. Oh, no. Oh, Michael. What? I was so offended the other day because somebody walked up to me and said, you don't look anything like you did when you was in the Jackson 5. I look identical to the same exact... No, Michael. Look, here's a picture. I've only had one procedure done since then. Well, no. Well, that's not true. A million. No, I'll be honest.
about it. Okay. One time I had Botox put just under my eyes. No. One time. No. And then you fell into a vat of acid or? Yes. Okay. Yes. Oh, my heart is counting like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King infused face paint. Rock. A three. Library before the test. What a great idea. And breakfast. Breakfast? Yeah, I wish. Wait, what's that? A mixed skillet burrito from McDonald's. It's new. That's huge. Shh. Quiet. Sorry. Mickey D's makes my morning, man. Seriously, this thing's got everything. Like what? Like savory sausage and scrambled eggs. Whoa, is that cheese? Yeah, two kinds. And fire-roasted bell peppers, dude. Is it spicy? Huh, salsa roja, man. And stuff with real skillet potatoes wrapped in a warm tortilla. That's a fistful of flavor. Excuse me, gentlemen. You cannot eat in the library. Oh, you can't? No. Now hand that over. Napkins as well. Mm-hmm.
This is a complete breakfast in my hand. Hey, you said you cannot eat in the library. Correct. You cannot eat in the library. I'm Frank Story. At participating McDonald's. And so, um, Eddie, what's the word? Crappy? No. K-I-O-Z San Diego. Now here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. Michael Jackson has done something again to his face. Skye, do you know what the deal is? No, they're not saying, but it looks like bandages on the tip of his nose and then surrounding all sides of his mouth. He was photographed at the Barnes & Noble near the home they're living in in Las Vegas. Are you sure they weren't just little reminders, little post-it notes? Well, Eddie, they did look like post-it notes.
I'm not going to lie to you. But yeah, I guess they were at Barnes and Nobles for three hours. They were definitely posting notes. Oh, they were, Michael? Yeah. What did you want to remember? One of them said, don't forget to go to Home Depot. Uh-huh. This one says freak. Wait, no. Your nose came off with that. I don't know. Oh, no. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Next Tina. She's good. Back, it's 922. Home prices in San Diego keep going down. Prices are now down 9.7% from last year. Five Atlanta Falcons were fined for wearing Michael Vick-related support gear. I can see how Roger Goodell would not want official football players in the NFL supporting a known criminal. Surprisingly, they're not cool with that. I just heard that the radio station that we used to work for in Dallas is back on the air. The Eagle. Wow.
That was gone for a long time. It was gone for a number of years. What was it? What did they turn into? They turned into Sunny 97.1. Cute. And they played like easy listening music for a few years. Are they on the same frequency? Is it like the same thing? You know, from the way that the emails sound, I believe that that is the case. Really? But they're still not someone. Eagle. It's not someone. Eagle. Camera twitch. Camera twitch. A real goose. Britney Spears died. We just found this out. It's real. Did you know they did that? Yeah, I worked with them for a little while. No, I'm saying it so that everybody is clear that we are not saying that that is what they said. That is one of the things that said that caused a lot of controversy. They reported that Britney Spears had died when in fact she had not. Yeah, you can't say that. You really aren't allowed to do that. No. So it got them in a lot of trouble. And a lot of problems. Well, they were idiots, Mike. It's garbage! This guy has a list of the Billboard top-selling albums for 2007. And the top tour. So it's albums and tours. Top three albums. Oh, endless love soundtrack. That was huge. Gigantic. Thriller. Ooh. Joe Walsh concert. Joe Walsh in concert? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I would say I probably just missed the top five. Top six. Sean. Was JT Future Sexy's back face on there? It was the number three tour of 2007. Daughtry. Daughtry had the number one selling album of 2007. You're kidding me. Wow. He had the number one selling album? Yeah. What? Holy moly. He had the number one selling album of 07? Yeah. That's crazy! Well, because I believe, you know, because lots of albums that have done really well recently obviously aren't going to be the top selling albums because they've only been out for a couple months. So it's kind of almost an advantage to coming out, you know, late 06, early in the year for this list. You know what I mean?
Oh, shit. My tape belongs to me. You technically only the tapes, but the magic that are on those tapes, that's mine. You can't take those. Is this takeaway from the vocal? No question. Fix it, Marty. Good point. That is, you know... Dirk Diggler's musical career never really got off the ground. Man, what a shame. It's too bad because the magic on those tapes was amazing. Yeah. It was just that. It was just that. It was magic. The magic. Amy Winehouse. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Carrie Underwood. I know. Melinda Doolittle. I know who it is. Wait. Is it Belinda Doolittle? It was Melinda and no. Mandisa. I didn't hear.
Maran 5. What about... No. No? I think it came out too late in the year, too. You know what I mean? JT. Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana, dude. Oh, Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana. Check it. Check it. Dude, check it. And then put it on the board. Why aren't you putting it on the board? Because it's not on the top three. And it's waiting. Put it on there. Stick it up there. That's not heavy. What about Gwen? What about Acorn? Yes, Acorn's Convicted was the number two album of 2007. You just want to hear this. Excuse me. Will you count me in? And a one, and a two, and a one, two, three. What about like older bands for tours, like Eagles? Oh, yeah. What about the Eagles? You know, but you're... Stones. U2. Led Zeppelin. Foreigner. Any of those? Sky? Journey. The Birds. Sticks.
Mott the Hoople. The Police. The Police had the highest grossing tour of the year. Of course the Police. The Police. Making over $212 million. What about Mott the Hoople? Yeah, what about them? Did you hear that? How about Jethro Tull? Oh, yes. So you're missing the number three album and the number two tour. Quit telling us what is the deal. What you're missing. Great one. Barely made a little bit. I got a guess. Oh, yeah. You only play one show a year, though, Rick. Play the Kinsert. Welcome here to the winery, everybody. When you're dealing with a thing and you got it on your mind. You know you want your thing. They really don't write them like that anymore.
The whole verse, Greg. Oh, gosh. Someone got some water? Water. A joint. What about Kanye? No. Album? No. Graduation? No Kanye on there? 50. What? Well, I just... He outsold 50. He did? Well, what's the whole thing? Rob, where were you? Somebody say Rihanna? Why didn't 50 retire, then? Shut up. George Bush doesn't care about black people. Doesn't buy their albums. George Bush hates midgets. Plain white. Can you imagine the whole album sounds like that? Yeah. Exciting. What about Nickelback? Nickelback Sky. Creed? Yeah. All right. Well, we're at it. Queen.
All right, who? What? Did you not hear the who? I heard. The number three biggest selling album of 2007 was Fergie's The Duchess. Oh, yes. Fergie. You guys know who she is. Fergie Ferg. My idol. She's so stupid. Eddie, she's your idol, too? Yeah, she's my idol. Wow. Idol, that guy. Idol too, Eddie. Oh, really? Yeah. Her and Gwen Stefani. The people I look up to are Fergie, Ellen, Gwen, and Gwen Stefani. That's interesting. I like them all. Interesting mix. I wish I could put them all together. Really? Yeah. They would have a talk show where they would pee on stage. If you could get all three people into one person, they would have a talk show where they would come out there late. Everybody would be waiting.
They finally show up, and when they did, they were so drunk, they peed themselves up. It's funny, Fergie just did an interview where she said, yeah, it kind of sucks because the one thing people remember me for is peeing on stage and being addicted to crystal meth. Was she addicted to crystal meth at the time she peed on stage? No, but those are the two things that people remember Fergie for. Peeing on stage in San Diego at street scene, and then previously being addicted to meth. Yeah, but also big girls don't cry. Oh. Yeah, she didn't mention that. I remember her for that. Yeah. I mean, certainly those two, but also Big Girls Don't Cry is a great song. Who gives that song? This lyric's a whole new meaning. I remember her playing the gremlin girl in Gremlins 2. That's what I most remember about. Rob, that wasn't her. What? That wasn't her. I liked her best when she was fighting for that ring right before it was... No, you guys. She's beautiful. She's a beautiful lady. No, you can't feed her after midnight and don't get her wet. Stop. She's not a gremlin. Yes. Stop it. I liked her best when she said, Misa likes it. No, you guys. No. Or when Elliot put her in that basket on his bicycle. Yes.
That was good. I like that. Look, there's Fergie. Look, Fergie's going over the moon. There she goes. Fergie can fly when she pedals fast. Put that hoodie on. They'll recognize you. That guy. Very touching. And then finally, the number two highest grossing tour of 2007 was Genesis bringing in $149 million. Genesis? They were on tour? That's crazy. Wow. That's awesome. Genesis was touring? I wish I would have saw them. Nobody even knew. You listen. Let's take a break. When we come back, I know who the Super Bowl entertainment is. They announce all of it. Really? Yeah, not just halftime. I know who's singing the national anthem. I know the whole deal. When we come back, I'll tell you, it is not this girl. But really close. I'll tell you when we come back. Women and women of the U.S. Navy and Marines have been deployed to every corner of the globe, and they continue to serve our country around the world to ensure the safety of people in Atlanta, San Diego.
That's why for the past 75 years, Navy Federal Credit Union has been dedicated to serving the financial needs of the men and women who serve us. Because we know full well that whether they're stationed on land or on the USS Norfolk, the USS Iwo Jima, there's always one place they'd much rather be, home. Home. So while they're defending our national security across the globe, we're entrusted with protecting their financial security right here at home or wherever home they be. If you're part of the Navy or Marines, or are a family member of someone who is, please visit NavyFederal.org to find out how we can be of service to you. We're Navy Federal Credit Union. We're here to serve. 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Still some leftovers slowing from the early commute here, kids. Southbound on the 5 Birmingham now and down toward the racetrack. That's about the only slow spot. There is an incident going on.
Over here, it's on the Southbound 805, right by the 15. Some kind of debris in lanes, possibly from an earlier accident, a CHP on the scene there. Otherwise, looking good, everything else is up to speed. I'm Jeff Daly with Traffic, Rock 105.3. Okay. Yeah. Seven days. Oh, my goodness. We're counting down. Come on. To the big Christmas day. Right. And we want to help you out. Don't deal with the mall and all the pressure of having to go shopping. You couldn't pay me to go to the mall. Really? Yeah. And I'm like greedy. You couldn't even pay me. And I'm like greedy. Wow. He would have liked that one. Okay. Well, here's the DLP ones. Go to Sunglass and Optical Warehouse. This is a great, great present for somebody for the holidays. A nice, nice new pair of sunglasses. We live in San Diego. You have to have a pretty nice pair of sunglasses year-round. Right. And Sunglass and Optical Warehouse, they're huge supporters of the Mikey Show, and they love the P1. So what they're doing now through Christmas Eve, if you go into any of the three Sunglass and Optical Warehouse locations and mention the Mikey Show, they're going to take 10% off of your purchase. Huge. Yeah. Absolutely huge. And the three locations are on Kurt Street behind the Sports Arena. If you go to that one.
Look for the yellow and black sunglass and optical sign because there are competitors that realize sunglass and optical warehouse is so huge. They're trying to like, they call themselves like optical warehouse with sunglasses. Right. So look for the yellow and black sign. That's when you know you're at the sunglass and optical warehouse. There's also one on Convoy at the corner of Balboa and at the La Jolla Village Square. Of course, you can go online too in shops, guy. Yeah, and sunglass and optical warehouse, they guarantee the lowest prices in town. They're not messing around. If you don't really know what exactly your loved one wants when it comes to sunglasses, just get them a gift card. It's that easy. And with the gift cards, you can even do that online. So check them out. It's sunglassoptical.com. Now, in case you missed it, this is a Mikey moment. We send Boston Rob to the San Diego County Courthouse with a microphone. Taking care of business and hanging out with old friends. That's right. So what we do is we send him down to the courthouse to talk to people. So what are you doing at the courthouse? Well, I happen to be the only Hermaphrodite in America. What about Jamie Lee Curtis? Never heard of it. Shut up! Well, he's in a lot of movies. He's my favorite. The Mikey Show continues. Baby, slip a sable under the tree.
Who is that, Sky? I have no clue. It's almost impossible. This is almost an impossible one for anybody to get. Any clues? Um, I'm going Naina. Or Martika. Very close. Very close. Cindy Lauper. You're so close. Scandal. Yes. This is scandalous. Now this is the Pussycat Dolls. Oh. Wow. I like it. With Santa Baby. We got an email on the topic that we were talking about earlier. Got an email from a lady that said that her husband's going overseas and he's going to be there for a while. And they got an agreement where the guy can cheat. And I'm very against that.
And Sky and Ashley understood. So we can see under certain circumstances where that may be the case. Got an email that says, that guy. It says, Mikey, that guy is going to cheat with or without permission. Giving permission will make it more prevalent as it removes guilt from the situation. Which, by the way, I disagree with. It says, also, my husband and I each did back-to-back tours to Iraq in 05 and 06, and it doesn't matter which side you're on. Cheating is not acceptable or permissible, though some people might say more forgivable. If you say till death do you part, it's what you should remember. It's not till deployment do us part. Must agree with that. And that was sent via a BlackBerry. I hope they weren't driving at the time. Oh, I hate that. You know what I'm saying? saying Sky has new releases that are out today. I do, Mike. She's going to tell us what the new releases are. It's Christmas time. We're actually interested in buying some things for people. People are always interested. Please be cool. But first, before she gives us the new releases, I want to tell you a little bit about the Super Bowl. Singing the Super Bowl this year? National Anthem.
I like what you said. Singing the Super Bowl at the National Anthem. Oh, oh. I just got my National Anthem tickets in the mail. Nice. Well said. So I'm going to the National Anthem this year. You're going to take pictures for us, right? Like every year, everybody wonders, will the Super Bowl sound as good this year being sung by whoever? Because people butchered it in the past. That is true. Yeah. That is true. This year, Jordan Sparks will be singing the National Anthem. At the Super Bowl. So, let me guess. The Super Bowl's on Fox this year? Is it? Is it on Fox, or what's the deal? It's gotta be. Why, do they have the worst one? No, American Idol. Oh, I gotcha, I gotcha. It's not like Jordan Sparks is a huge, you know, act. See, that's the thing, man. Like, I don't ever, I don't want, unless it's Kelly Clarkson, I don't want an American Idol to sing the national anthem, because to me, that's like a regular person. I don't want a regular person to sing the national anthem. I want a big, gigantic superstar to sing the national anthem. And I don't mean Daughtry, even though he sold a lot of records. I mean a superstar. Somebody that we think of like a superstar, not somebody that won a game show to be, you know, a singer. The only exception being Kelly Clarkson. Or Bucky Covington. But besides those two, besides those two, I can't think of anyone.
So what else? Is there anybody else that they've announced? Well, we told you before when they announced it that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be performing at halftime. Yeah, boy, we can't wait. And then something new they're adding this year, which will just be lovely, is Ryan Seacrest is going to host the first ever Super Bowl red carpet interviews prior to the game. Well, isn't there a red carpet outside the stadium and the paparazzi? Why are they doing this? Mike! Why are they doing that to a... Dude, that's terrible. They're ruining our game. Uh-huh. It's all sponsored by Tampax. Stop it. I'm just saying. It's not funny. Okay, maybe I made that last part up. You shut your filthy mouth. Well, that's terrible news, Sky. It really is. Sorry. All right. New releases out today. Okay. New video games out today. We have Rock Band out for the PS2 today. That's just like Guitar Hero, right? Except it's like a whole band. There you go. Rob. It's not just guitar. It's four times the fun. The whole band thing. Rob's on bass. Yep. There you go, Robbie. There you go. It's a little bass. Aw. Very little.
Knight's Journey of Dreams for the Wii. MX vs. ATV Untamed for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and the PSP. We have Sensible World of Soccer for Xbox 360. Sensible, what is it? Yeah, Sensible World of Soccer. Soccer Classic comes to Xbox Live with multiple player and full season modes. Atari Classics Evolved for the PSP. And finally, we have Luxor Pharaoh's Challenge for the PSP. Those are video games out today. All right. New albums out today, new music. We have Mary J. Blige with Growing Pains out today. Anyone? I can't wait. Yeah. Yay. Okay. I like her. We have Teddy Picker by the Arctic Monkeys. No? Okay. The soundtrack to Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. WWE Raw's... greatest hits. Is that you, Sean? Yes. What are you doing? What are you doing? I'm just having a bottle. You pushing your mic away? You pushing your mic away from me? I don't want it near me. Sean? I think he's a little bored with the list is what he's trying to do. 310 to Yuma. Soundtrack. And finally, the soundtrack to There Will Be Blood.
Oh, I gotta get that, Scott. Oh, now it's good. Well, yeah, it's something I'm interested in. Paul Thomas Anderson. I'm interested. Why are you surprised? I'm interested in that guy. Well, some people may be interested in the previous ones. All right, well, all you 310 to Yuma fans, get on it, will ya? Okay, new movies out today. Come on, give it to me. We got The Simpsons movie out on DVD today. Stardust. Did you see it, Eddie? The Simpsons movie? I never did, but I'll buy it just because I know I'm going to like it. Was Boy Blunder like out in line before? No, you know what happened? That son of a gun. What? Boy Blunder. I never go to the movies with that guy anymore. We used to go all the time together. Right. And I wrote him an email or something and I'm like, dude, I would really like to go see The Simpsons movie with you. And he turned me down. He said no because he was going to go to the premiere with his brother and he didn't want to spend the money or something like that. And I was like, fine, forget it. So I ended up not going. Really? Why is he being like that? I don't know, he's a jerk. Is it his new promotion coming up? Maybe it's his new promotions coming up. What new promotions? You guys didn't hear about Boy Blunder's new promotions? No, please. What?
Yes? Sean, hey, strap in. Seriously. Put your suit belt on. Okay, hold on. All right. I mean, dude, are you strapped in that thing? Make sure it's secure. I am, but let me just, let me wedge myself in here. Sorry. Okay. All right. When Sean, our program director, is off on her maternity leave, guess who's going to be taking over for her and, like, scheduling the music here on Rock 105? Who? A Boy Blunder. Wait, what? Sean just flew out of his seat. Sean, are you okay? You didn't have his security. Sean just flew out of his seat. He's down. He just flew out of his seat. Down goes Sean. Down goes Sean. That can't be true, Mike. Does she know the history that behind... When you say history, do you mean when he put the F word on the air on mistake in Dallas? Well, that's one of the things, yeah. Oh. Do you mean...
When he put the F word on the air in mistake in San Diego? That was one of the things that I was thinking. What about the other time he put the F word on the air? Yeah, I was thinking that one too. What about the fourth time he put curse words on the air? That was one of the things, yeah. I'm forgetting any. Well, there was a few other words that made it on in all three cities we worked in. Well, he's going to do a great job. Yeah. Yeah, he will. Yeah. He will. I have faith in him. He did a great job for us. Yeah, he did. Most of the time. That is true. But then he put the F word on the air. That's not a good job. We got fired. We got fired. Yeah. But then. He didn't. But then Shauna hired him back. Oh, yeah. That was very nice of her. That is nice. There was nobody else qualified.
Yeah, but didn't Sky schedule music in San Jose? Well, yeah, I did. I was the programming assistant for the cluster of three rock stations that we had up there. What about Boy Blunder? Has he ever done it? No, never. He's never scheduled music? Then why? Because he's obviously the clear-cut choice candidate. Why? What do you mean why? What kind of question is that? Why? Well, like, why? Like, duh. Hello? Why is the sky blue? Exactly. Like, if you're looking for somebody that you want to be, like, an Olympic diver. Yeah, I know, but did you want someone who... I'm taking Greg Luganis, bro. But would you want someone who has an experience? Fine, go ahead. I'm taking Blunder. It's an obvious choice. I'm taking Blunder. Really? Yep. But he has no experience in doing that. But he's got his scheduling wand. Why would you want someone's scheduling wand? Wow. That is amazing. Why? I'll tell you why. He's got the cutest face I've ever seen. I don't want to kiss him all the time. You want to kiss his face. I want to eat him like a bear. You want to just do those little cheeks. A bear with peanut butter. I would. If his cheeks are that cute now, what has it been like when he was little? I bet you he tastes like marshmallow. Wait a minute. Wait a second. Wow. Okay, back to the DVD. Yeah, sure, why not? Marshmallow and lard. John!
Sean. Sean. Sean. That's the program director you're talking about. Yeah. That's your boss, dude. Seriously. All right. So we covered the Simpson movie out on DVD today. Also out today, Stardust. Anyone? No? Oh, with Michelle Pfeiffer. Is she in it? See, I thought she was in it, but then I just looked it up. She is in Stardust. Yeah, IMDB doesn't list her, but weird. Okay, so Stardust out today. Underdog also out today. Anyone? Okay, dog gets superpowers. Balls of Fury out today. Cool. We have some special collector stuff out today. We have Halloween, the unrated director's cut. That's about 12 minutes longer. This is the Rob Zombie one. That looks way too terrifying for me to watch. Come on. Really? I got Netflix. Forget it. We'll watch it together. No, we will not. That's even way creepier. Way creepier. I'd rather blunder schedule music for four months. Wow. Are you sure about that? No, I'd rather watch Rob Zombie.
There's Blade Runner. There's two different editions being released today. One is a two-disc and one is a five-disc Ultimate Collector's Edition. Yeah, that's out today. Braveheart, the Special Collector's Edition. I want it. I want it. I want it. And then we have National Treasure, the two disc collectors edition, out today as well. Just a few TV shows to DVD, The Mod Squad, Season 1, Volume 1, and One Tree Hill, the complete fourth season. Enjoy. Every other song. I need your arms around me. I need to feel your touch. Hey, it's Rock 105.3. Get up, you. Budweiser. Hey, it's Rock 105.3. I don't know. Welcome to... He changes the name of the station while she's gone. It's the cake. 5-3 the cake. This is the Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts at rock1053.com. I really don't want to gamble when I choose a special Christmas gift for my wife, Tom. What man does, Dylan? K-I-O-Z. I did it. You did not. Gina brought in a bunch of little cupcakes. Zeth has asked for them, made a comment, said that he could fit them all in his mouth. There's eight of them. He's going to give it a shot. Yes. Is in his mouth. Two is in his mouth. Three is in his mouth. Come on, dude. There's three in there. Eddie, how much are you going to give him? I told him I'd give him five bucks. Oh, dude, do it. Here comes four. Do it. Oh, this is going to be tough. Come on.
Five bucks. Five is in his mouth. There you go. How are you going to get that last one in? Easy street. Six. So there was six, right? He got six of them in there. How big are they? I can't see. Oh, come on, Wim. Yeah, but they're not like totally mini. They were pretty small. They were not normal size. Yeah, definitely not normal. You can get it down. How many more does he have? He's got them all in his mouth. Oh, he just has to swallow it. Oh, you got me. His eyes are bulging out. Don't spit it up. Let's take a listen. Right up to the microphone. Ew. It's the little crunchies on top. Not to mention his lip ring. I know, maybe if you take the lip ring out, you'd have more room. That's exactly what he sounds like when we make fun of him. Talk, Zat, Zat. How you doing today? I'm good. How are you? Pretty much all right on. No difference. Wow. You think you'll be able to get those down? Yeah. I love all the sprinkles stuck to his lips. Hey, they're in. All right. I know. You earned five bucks, man. Wow. Not bad. Hard day's work. Yep. Sorry, man. I don't have it. Wow.
Always get the money first. Yeah. You have to get the money first. No, at least I learned a valuable lesson. You did. And you're full. And you're diabetic now. Oh, yeah, he doesn't eat sweets. That was horrible. He's going to go, yeah. That sucks. Congratulations. Yeah, not bad, kid. Yeah, thanks. Well said. Not bad at all. That was impressive. Guy was able to get it down. What do you want? I want $5. It'll happen eventually. Bonus. Skrill. Alright. Let me get some stuff. And then we gotta get out of here. There's a guy in New York City who is suing nightclubs over ladies night. It's unconstitutional, Mike. Finally. I agree with this. Somebody's taking a stand. Who do they think they are? All right. Says they discriminate against men by only giving women the discount. Well said. Believe me. If it were the other way around, the women would have sued years ago. Oh, yeah. I mean, give me a break. Give me a break. We just don't care. Give me a break. That's so stupid, though. Who cares? Let them have their ladies' night. But then what's next? The early bird specials for senior citizens or kids eat free? I mean, where's that going to stop? Seriously. It already goes on.
What? You have that senior citizen stuff. You know when you go to dinner at four and you get that special rate? Yeah. There you go. But there's also a senior citizen discount. You get that, too. I get that? Yeah. Skye, do you really think that this guy should sue for that? I mean, if we're looking at it as a black and white issue, he's right. I mean, do I think that we should waste time on this issue? No. Now, black and white, Mike. First of all, I'm fine with this, but with cheating, no. I didn't say I was fine with it. I didn't say I was fine with it. Prostitutes are okay. According to the letter of the law. Ladies night, hell no. The guy's correct. Well, the letter of the law, Skye, is that you can't go outside your marriage. That's called adultery and it's illegal. You got me there. Can't do it. Even if your spouse is in another country. Let me think of something else to argue about. Maybe not. Didn't think of that. Thank you, Mike. Maybe since you're in Iraq, it's okay. But yeah, this isn't my issue. This isn't my fight. But I think technically, according to the letter of the law, the guy's right. You can't offer discounts to just one gender. No, you want to talk about putting bells on hybrids. Then I got something to say. Bells? Yeah, cowbells. Don't you, Sky? What's up?
I agree. Yeah, black and white issue. Sure. Here, here, here. Great. But you do think it's stupid, right? Oh, I mean, give me a break. There's bigger issues out there, Mike. Come on. Hybrids. Thank you. Idiots. Thank you. Madonna's kids only get to open three presents for Christmas. Stupid. Yep. She doesn't want her kids to be materialistic. You have a song that's called Material Girl. Well, that's back in the day, Ash. People change, you know. They're also going to have a low-fat meal prepared for them, mainly vegetarian, lots of whole grains. And there will be a small amount of lean, unsalted meat served because her husband is Guy Ritchie. He likes that. He likes lean, unsalted meat? Well, no, just so there can be meat.
But if there's going to be meat, it's got to be lean and unsalted. So weird, man. What a party that's going to be. Yeah. Like, how'd you get there? Like, you know what I mean? Right. Free presents. Eminem's mom says he is a fake. Oh. Yeah. She says all that 8 Mile movie, BS. What? Yeah, so she's putting out a tell-all book next year, which is going to be called My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem. And she says that his upbringing was nowhere near what he claims it to be. Why is she waiting until now? Why are we just hearing this now? If that's the truth, 8 Mile came out in 2002. Well, this is what she says. That's what she said. She says his first album was a flop.
And so he decided to reinvent himself as this white trailer trash with the crazy welfare mom. And she says she was shocked when she first heard the new lyrics, but he kept reassuring her that it was all just a big joke and nobody was going to take it seriously. So she says her book is a way of her setting the record straight. No, he did. Man. Stupid. Horrible. This is one of very few songs I've ever heard that I thought was perfect. Wow. Another song that I thought was perfect was Eric Clapton, Tears in Heaven. That's a really good song. Well, sounds like she wants money. Yeah. And she'll...
All the people in his life, specifically the women, the women in his life sell him down the river. It doesn't matter who it is. The women in his life mess him up. InTouch Magazine says Lindsay's drinking again. What are they offering is proof to this. Well, they say that... Pre-rehab, Lindsay was seen everywhere carrying this water bottle, and that pre-rehab, it was always filled with a clear type of alcohol, according to InTouch magazine. And then when she got out of rehab, she would never be walking around carrying a drink of any sort. And then just recently, since Thanksgiving, again, she's been seen carrying around the water bottle, and according to sources, they say... Appletini. Well, no, it's a clear liquid, Eddie. According to sources, they say that Lindsay's assistant filled her water bottle up at a New York nightclub with Grey Goose vodka over the Thanksgiving holiday, and people witnessed that. Really? According to InTouch magazine. Hmm. Who knows? Yeah, well, I'll tell you this. If you're an alcoholic, Grey Goose vodka is not on the menu. Why do you say? Well, you're not allowed to have it. Oh. But if it's in a...
Water bottle. Or what about absolute? Oh, you didn't say it's in a water bottle? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, you didn't mention that. Oh, then it turns to water. Oh, cool. Nice. But no tumblers. That's how I freebase. What? I use a water bottle. It's cool. You do? Yeah. How do you do that? Dude, just trust me. All right. Okay. I get it done. Congrats. There you go. Your word. Thanks. Crack is whack. Star Magazine says Britney's going to marry that guy Sam Lufty. What? In Vegas. Yuck. Yuck. Whatever. I'm getting there. I'm getting there with Britney. Yeah. It's only taken me two and a half years. Over it? I'm not making an announcement. I'm not saying I'm over it. I don't know that I'm over it. I am over it. I'm not there yet. If something wacky happens today, I think I still want to know. Yeah, well, actually, what I just read on TMZ is that the KFED's lawyer is getting TMZ subpoenaed to get that video of Brittany out and about the night after she didn't show up for the deposition. I got audio of when she got refused to go into, what do you call it, the Four Seasons? Oh, I want to hear that. Cut 11. From the Four Seasons Hotel. What? Please come in here.
Jackie was trying to have some dinner at her Beverly Hills home away from home Friday night. But she would be rejected. Causing Miss Spears to offer the resort this diss. And toss out Four Seasons four-letter word. Before finally announcing a change to her supper plans. That's brutal. That is pretty brutal. Wow. You're not allowed here. You're not allowed in here. Oh, my gosh. I'm Britney Spears, y'all. Uh-oh. Yeah, we know. Give me more. Give me baby one more time. We know. Yeah, piece of me. Can you split right away? How embarrassing. Right? Yeah. Well, you're ugly anyway. Oh, no. That wasn't necessary, Brittany. Ugly hotel with stinky stinks. Come on. It's ugly. I never liked it. You only make $8 an hour. Yeah. You're probably fat. But you're here every day, Brittany. Well, only because it's so ugly that I have to think it's cute. What? Whatever, man. Okay. It's Clash of the Choirs.
What is that? My mom called me to make sure that I would TiVo that last night. What is it? Come on. It's a new reality show, and they have five different stars, if you will. Nick Lachey, Patty Lachey. Why did you say stars with finger quotes? Well, because I didn't want to say pop stars. I don't know. I'll give you the names. Or Nick Lackey, as my mom said. Nick Lackey? That Nick Lackey. Lackey guy. Nick Lachey. So they have Nick Lachey, Patti LaBelle, Michael Bolton, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Rowland. Who's Blake Shelton? This singer guy. Okay. And so these celebrities, these stars, go to their hometown and try and put together a superstar choir of all the best singers in their hometown. And then they will train these choirs, and then these choirs will compete against each other. Singing what? Choir songs? Yeah, I don't know. I T-voted, so I didn't get to actually watch. I watched a little bit of it. They've officially run out of ideas in Hollywood, is what you're saying. Yeah, basically. Writer's Strike. I watched a tiny bit of it, and yeah, basically, like, they are practicing and performing, like, choir songs is the gist that I got. And, like, they're full on, like, stomping, clapping, choreographed, jumping around, like, you hit this note, you hit this note. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I got a piece of audio here that says, Team Bolton performs Living on a Prayer.
Yeah, you know, I'm guessing maybe each choir director, the star, has their own take on the kind of music that their choir is going to do. Cut 32. Pay me to watch it. No way. Oh, that sounds terrible. Well, it sounds terrible because first of all, it sounded like one guy singing. That wasn't what I thought. It didn't sound like a choir. I saw like a whole choir and they were like doing this huge performance and it was really cool. Crazy cool how organized it was, like with the clapping and stomping and different verses. Now seriously, like if I heard that, I'd be in. Like 40 people on stage and they had all these, it was like almost a dance too with the clapping. It was rad. Team Kelly Rowland performs Freedom. Let's see if this cut 30.
I like choirs. I mean, that sounds a little better, like choir singing. Yeah. I just wonder, like, is most of America going to be down with watching choirs sing? I like the sound of choirs. Yeah. No, thanks. My mom was all in. Really? Maybe that's... It could be the audience, you know. She could be the audience. Yeah. But you dug it, right? Like I said, I only watched like five minutes of it, so I don't really know yet. Hey, we just found out that Peter Jackson, the guy that directed the Lord of the Rings movies, we just found out, this is like just coming over entertainment wires right now, that he's worked it out with New Line Cinema. He's going to direct The Hobbit. Hallelujah. And the sequel to The Hobbit. That is so awesome. Which is his forte. It's his bread and butter. Well, sure, it's his bread and butter. Which is great, because I thought King Kong was good and everything, but it wasn't Lord of the Rings. No, it wasn't.
And so I would love to see more Lord of the Rings. Now, Eddie, explain to me. What is The Hobbit, and where is it in chronology to The Lord of the Rings? The Hobbit is before The Lord of the Rings. It follows Bilbo, Bilbo Baggins. And when he goes through an adventure and stuff, and he runs into Gollum, so Gollum will be in it too, and it's when Bilbo finds the ring. is a basic story. Oh, interesting. When Bilbo finds the ring. Yeah, so it's that whole story. I'm in. There's a dragon in it. There's a whole lot of stuff that'll happen. It's a big adventure. So there's just as cool a stuff as happened in the Lord of the Rings movies? Less characters, but equally cool stuff. You know what I want? I want creepy things like orcs and creepy stuff. Yeah, you'll get some of that. I'll get that. I want cool powers, like, with new characters. Yeah, does anybody... Powers? Yeah, who had powers? Yeah, like the wizard. Well said. Oh, Gandalf will be in it, too. Gandalf's in it. Okay. Man. I like him. That's so cool. Two movies, huh? Yeah, because New Line Cinema had the rights to it, and since they were kind of on the outs with Peter Jackson after fighting over money for the Lord of the Rings... Oh, Peter Jackson was out on them. Yeah. Peter Jackson, they weren't going to do it, and everybody was like, well, it's not going to be any good if you don't get Peter Jackson, so...
Worked it out, man. They could not get someone else. Well, yeah, they were talking to Sam Raimi, Rainey, and a couple of guys about doing it. Forget it. And the people on the internet were just freaking out and just like, no way. Yeah. No way. Directors really mean a lot to a movie. That's their vision. Eddie says that that new movie that I really want to see by my favorite film director, Paul Thomas Anderson, the movie's called There Will Be Blood. Eddie says that he's reading good stuff about it. It's getting good reviews. I think it was nominated for Golden Globe. There's just some crazy stuff I was reading about it. Like what? Well, number one, he didn't use his normal composer that he usually uses. John Bryan. Okay. Wow. He used John Bryan. That's correct. In all of his movies. He used the lead singer to Radiohead. Oh, wow. To do the score. Really? Yeah. That's pretty cool, though. Which is going to be interesting. And the other interesting thing I found out about it is the first 20 minutes of the movie, no dialogue. Oh, my. That's fantastic. There's no dialogue. He said he always wanted to make a movie where there was a lot of uncomfortable silence. And the first 20 minutes of the movie, yeah, Ashley, this is not a movie for you. Ashley, let's go see it together. Oh, God. Where Daniel Day-Lewis' character, I guess, is roaming around.
the land and finding land for, like, his oil and stuff like that. And he's by himself, so there's, like, no dialogue. Ew. This is crazy to me. No, thank you. Could be interesting, could be boring. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Jennifer Love Hewitt has some advice for young ladies with body image issues. Cut eight. Do you have any comment for young ladies struggling with body image issues? Image issues. Feel good about it. Don't worry about it. There you go, ladies. So smart. That'll fix everything. I didn't know it was so easy. Just don't do it. Okay. Don't do it. My bad. Just stop. All right, I'm sorry. Did you guys hear about the three-year-old kid? This is a weird story. Three-year-old kid named Jacob died. His mother's name is Rebecca, which I thought was weird. Whoa. But anyway, Jacob Pierce, he died on Saturday from injuries. He sustained inside the bouncy castle at Hoppen Houses, playing...
Playland in Castle Rock, Washington. How the heck did that happen? Apparently two adults reportedly crushed the boy while his mother was distracted. Shut up. What were adults doing in the bouncy house? Aren't adults not allowed in the bouncy house? Yeah, there's supposed to be a wait requirement or something. How could that happen? Says a reporter from Fox 12 interviewed the mother, Rebecca Pierce, just two days after the death, and she was remarkably calm and already thinking about legal action. Cut to... We were like five minutes away from being done, playing, and then we'd grab our cake and ice cream and then be done. The little girl picked him up and set him in there. And then from what my niece saw, the guys rolled down that hill and knocked him out. And then somebody landed on his head and crushed his head. Oh! My first reaction was, oh my gosh, he broke his nose. Because, you know, the bubbles come out of the nose. But when I saw the pool there, I knew that there was way something more. It's been an absolute. You need to have more than just an 18-year-old boy sitting at the counter. There will be more charges filed as far as I'm concerned. My son was tamed from me. To hell with everybody else. Okay. That is interesting. Wouldn't have been my reaction, but. I mean, and I. She is pretty calm. She must be in shock.
I mean, that was two days after it happened. Maybe that's the deal. She must be in shock. Weird. And, I mean, I don't mean to be callous, but doesn't she hold some responsibility in this? I mean, it's not like this is a daycare facility. I guess it just depends. I would say, I guess it just depends on... You know, because she's blaming the 18-year-old boy working at the counter. Well, it sounds... See, I don't get it. Like, how did this happen? I'm trying to pick, you know... She said that these two adults came flying into the thing, it sounds like. Is there a slide that goes in it? What I heard was they were somewhere and she put him in and then she turned around and that her niece saw that happen. That's what I heard. That she didn't even see it happen. Whatever the case, there's adults jumping around in there and they crush the little boy. And adults being careless. It sounded in that clip like she was a little bit careless. And what she's saying is, Well, that 18-year-old that's working at the counter should not be allowing adults to get in there? Is that what she's saying? Yeah, I think so. Well, I mean, yeah, that's true. But is he working the counter? Is he working? Because, like, I'm kind of, I don't know what this place is like, but I'm picturing a Chuck E. Cheese. You know what I mean? And they don't have a person at every single game. You know, they have somebody at the front door. Well, that's what she's saying. Maybe there should be. Maybe. I don't get it. Yeah, but it's really sad, man. Yeah, it is. That sucks. It's brutal. Let's see.
Some more players are coming out now and admitting to steroid use. Oh, really? Well, yeah, over the weekend, Andy Pettit did, which is kind of a bad situation for me if I'm Roger Clemens because they're best friends. Oh, okay. And Andy Pettit said, well, yeah, I used HGH, but only because I had an arm injury and I needed help, you know. fixing my arm not not to help my performance but isn't clemens like denying it yeah okay yeah and then uh brian roberts of the orioles came out said oh yeah i used it once just once though hgh what would have happened to these guys if they would have just long ago when this first all came up said yeah i did it if they were you know like back in like 2003 yeah um You know, HGH has been a thing that's kind of been more prevalent in the past couple of years as far as on the radar. So if people were saying, oh, HGH, back in 2003 they would have heard that, they probably wouldn't have known what it was. And there would have been a lot more questions about it. But I think now in 2007 we know what HGH is and that it is a performance-enhancing drug.
And back in 2002, 2003, I don't know there would have been a lot of hubbub about it because I don't think people knew what it was. P1 Davis calling in about the clip of the mother that we just heard. Dave, are you there? Yeah, good morning, guys. Good morning. Listen, as the father of a two-and-a-half-year-old that drowned in 1978, I can tell you 29 years later that you're still not over it. And that lady is way over it, way too fast. She's way too callous. I'm sorry. You're right. I feel for her loss. There's nothing, nothing that compares to the loss of a child. But my wife and I cried for years. I'm serious. No, I believe you, man. You know, the third day of the day that he died. I mean, and it's still, even today when we look at our grandchildren. We've been together 40 years, and that was a big interruption in our lives and almost created our marriage. Do you think that it's possible that that lady is in shock or that she is, you know, because they do say that everybody deals with things differently, you know? Well, you know, I'm not a psychologist. I'm just a businessman. And she could very well be in shock. You know, there wasn't even a whimper or a shake in her voice. And I don't know.
what to read into it. Well, that's kind of why it's a news story. The reason that it's so much that we're hearing about it nationally is not really that a boy died. The reason that we're hearing about it nationally is that clip that we just played and that she is very calm and it's not really what people expect. And I think people want to hear emotion when they hear that a child has died. They want to hear emotion. So anyway, hey, listen, I appreciate the call. More Americans are Googling themselves than ever before. And why, Skye? Why are we Googling ourselves? Just to see what kind of personal information about yourself is out there. They did this study back in 2002 and found out that about 22% of people had tried Googling themselves. This year, it has more than doubled with 47% of U.S. adults Googling themselves. And then 53% of U.S. adults. What about U.S. Americans? Have they done a test yet on U.S. Americans to see how many people in terms of U.S. Americans are actually Googling themselves? Well, no, I guess not, Mike. Just a question. And then they found that 53% of U.S. adults admit Googling somebody else. Not counting celebrities, but we're talking friends, family members, somebody you went on a date with.
Way to find some info. What happened to my Miss South Carolina thing? Is this still up there, Ash? No. I think it's gone. All wrapped up. I think we've done everything possible today. Oh, what up? We're completely done. Like we've exhausted every single piece of news information we have. Exhausted. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. Open phones. Call about whatever you want. Don't forget, tomorrow we're out doing a personal appearance. We're going to be selling copies of our best FCD. Free up. Yeah. How much is it, Mike? $9.99. $9.99. She just wanted to do that. She set you up, man. Yeah, she set me up. Now remember, every single dime that is raised is going to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. That's huge. Great. So we're going to be out tomorrow signing.
Our Best of CD from 5 to 7 tomorrow. So come see us right after work. Just stop by and see us. And then you can go to Cricket stores and buy the CD, which I believe the list is on the website, right? That's right. Tomorrow, 5399 El Cajon Boulevard, located on the corner of 54th and El Cajon. So there you go. Cool. I do not have a copy of the Best of CD. Me neither. No, I haven't seen it yet. I do not have a copy of it. I'd like to, though. I would love one. Maybe I'll get one tomorrow at the Cricket Store. Will you guys sign it for me? Well, if anybody's listening that has some copies of it, can we have one? Can we burn a copy? Can we burn a copy? I talked to Space Boy last night, and he goes, hey, dude, I just wanted to thank you for mentioning me in the liner notes. I go, how'd you know that I mentioned you in the liner notes? He goes, well, I was reading the CD. I go, you have one? He goes, yeah. I go, oh, what's it like? Sounds like fun. Pretty cool. Yeah. He goes, yeah, Danny liked it, too. I go, oh, son of a... Can you guys get me one? I don't have one. Pull some strings. I do not have one. So maybe we're going to try to get one today. It's really good, though. It's the best, best of ever. So check it out. P1 Begro, are you there? Yes, sir. Go ahead. You're on the air. How's it going, Mikey? Good.
I just wanted to comment. You should really see the Hobbit in the cartoon version before you see the actual, you know, the reality. Will it help? Oh, yeah, definitely. Because in the Lord of the Rings, you know, where Gollum, sorry, Gandalf fights that big, like, kind of fiery demon on top of that hill. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It has this whole, they didn't put this whole, like, trippy scene around it. And some of the parts, They didn't really capture some of the parts in the Lord of the Rings. Capture the parts, dude. Yeah. All right, well, thank you. I will. I'll see the cartoon. Yeah, get Mike. I should try reading it. Yeah. Oh, yeah. A couple more calls. Mikey Show, hello. Oh, for goodness sake, stop it. Don't do that. Mikey Show. Oh, well, then you stop. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, Rizzo. No, it's Mikey. Hey, Mikey, this is T1 Torizo, man.
Hi, Chorizo. Chorizo! Hey, what's up? What's up, brother? Hey, listen, man. I got to tell you guys a little story. How much you guys are involved in my life, man, real quick. Go ahead, man. About a year and a half ago, man. I mean, this is a little embarrassing, but I had to get a little surgery done. I had to get circumcised. You had to... Wait, wait, wait, wait. Pause, pause. Pause, pause, and pause. All right. So when you were born, you were not circumcised. No, sir, I was not. Why did you get... How old are you? I am 31 now. How old were you when you got the surgery to become circumcised? 29. Why did you do it? I had to do it, man. Okay, you don't need to tell me, but anyway. Anyway, okay. Well, I was getting circumcised, man. It was not a very pleasant surgery, but the only thing I could think about while they were doing it is O.J. and over-the-top O.J. saying choppy-choppy, man. Oh, my gosh, dude. Oh, my gosh.
And I was just, I started laughing and the doctor said, why are you laughing? And I was like, I cannot help myself thinking about OJ and over the top OJ saying choppy choppy. And I'm like, son of a goat, man. I can't. And I was just laughing. I didn't hear you show that one. Son of a goat. That's funny. Did you really get circumcised? I'm serious, dude. I thought for a second that it was all part of a joke to get there, but no, you're not joking. And do they use any kind of anesthesia? No, no, of course. No, I did it natural. No anesthesia doctor for me, please. Thank you. No, Sky, they take a pair of arts and crafts scissors. Well, I don't know if they put a topical on or if they can numb the whole... I don't know. I don't know how it works. I don't know how it works. Well, they kind of put the needle on the base. On the record. Alright, thank you for the call. No, you guys can't handle hearing that. No, I had to hang out with him. I don't want to hear it. I do not want to hear it. Maybe another day. Maybe not. Oh, okay. As we've been wrapping up the show each week, each day this week, we are going to play a song. We're going to play each of our favorite Christmas songs. Now, yesterday, it was All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey. The song decided on by...
Ashley, Boston Rob, and Zeth. And today is Sean's day to decide. Oh, Sean's day to shine. That's it. Can you get him on the phone real quick? We should get him on the phone. He had to sign off at 1030. It's 1037. Oh, Sean. So I want Sean to tell us why he chose the song that he did. I'll tell you who it is here in just a second. Mikey, it's just as weird as him. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, B-Rob, this is B1 Gourmet Chef. It's Mikey, bro. Oh, hi. Go ahead. You're on the air. Hey, Mikey, I want to thank you guys for your show. You guys make me laugh every day. And I'm just going to let you know I need your prayers because I'm leaving for South Korea next year in two months. Well, we will definitely include you in our thoughts and prayers, brother. Peace, and thank you for calling. Mikey Show, hello. Hi, this is Alicia. Hi, Alicia. I'm calling to see if Merriman ever called in. He did not. Eddie, did we find out why? No, you know, we were going to call his agent to find out what was up, and I never heard back. I don't know what was going on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We got to ask Shauna what's going on. I forgot. Mikey Show, hello. Hi, this is T1 Squirt. Hi, Squirt. Hey, I live out of state, and I live stream you guys every day. Sweet. Aw. I'm in Montana. Nice. What part? Hamilton. There you go. Never heard of it, but it sounds nice. Cold. Yeah. Very cold.
And you're streaming us, huh? Streaming it every day. Awesome. Well, thank you for listening to us. We appreciate it. Thank you for still being on. You got it. Bye. All right, we got to go. You're not getting... Ashley's just chatting with him. Hi, Sean. No, I wasn't. Hi, Sean. Oh, sorry. Hi, sweetie. How are you? Good. My fault. Uh-oh. Let's fight about it. Oh, no. Okay, so did you select... Who did you select? I selected Wham. Of course you did. You selected Wham. Okay, because I saw this other song up there, and I thought that that was your song. What was that one, Ashley? That was Skye's. Okay, okay. Oh, no. Wham, for tomorrow. Because I thought that it was Sean's. That's a tease. That was something really idiotic. My song is legit. Hey, Wham. Don't you be poking fun at my song. Skye, honestly, I swear to you. Like, if I knew that was yours, it's... Totally, like, in keeping with you. I thought it was Sean's, and I was like, huh? Like, why is he choosing that? Like, that is so weird. But it does make sense. You selected Wham! last Christmas. Of course. Oh, there you go. So let's do every day this week. Tomorrow it's going to be Skies, then Eddie, and then me on Friday. And so today it's Sean.
But guys, it's going to be really bad to see. Shut up, whale lover. The lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today on the Nooners, she's got your all-request lunch, and we'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. It's your favorite dysfunctional family. The Mikey Show. We're out late. Last.
