The show kicked off with a sports‑contract puzzle about Bill Parcells’ simultaneous Falcons and Dolphins talks, then moved into a lively debate about Kurt Schilling’s call for Roger Clemens to give back his Cy Young Awards. Later, the crew laughed over Ashley’s hair‑color dilemma, marveled at a listener’s handmade Splashly toy, and enjoyed a goofy ham‑themed caroling after a CD signing. The highlight came when Boston Rob braved a raw sea cucumber on Bizarre Foods, while the hosts also shared heartfelt Secret Santa gifts for families in need and reminisced about a Filipino teen’s stunning Ellen performance.

You get my text, Seth? The one back. This morning. Welcome to the program. It is 6-0-7. City Attorney Mike Aguirre is accusing the Union Tribune of a smear campaign against him. What a month for the Atlanta Falcons. Yesterday they thought they had a deal in place for Bill Parcells to become their vice president. He says, nah, not so much, and accepts a four-year deal, or has a deal in place, with Miami for the very same job. How could that happen? I don't know. You know what's so... Well, this is what's so weird about that to me. Well, Bill, if you... Okay. If you are about to shake hands with the Atlanta Falcons, and it's a news story, that seems to be something that does not happen over a day. Right. That's something that usually takes a little time. For sure. They talk to you about it. You consider it.
You get to a point where you're very close to making a decision, and then it becomes news. You know what I mean? Would you agree, Eddie? Well, yeah, because there has to be contracts drawn up, stipulations in place, bonuses. All those things have to be laid out before you say, yeah, I agreed to that deal. So my question is, it would seem like it would be the same thing with the Dolphins. If he had something going on with the Dolphins, it wouldn't have just happened in the last 24 hours. Here's what I think happened. What? I think he has this deal in place with the Falcons. He hasn't fully accepted it yet, but it's in the process. Word gets back to Miami Dolphins and owner Wayne Huizenga, who is friends, apparently, with Bill Parcells. And I think he calls Bill and says, Hey, I didn't realize you wanted to come back, and I want to hire you. And we're friends. So don't take that Atlanta job. I'll give you a better deal. Come to Miami. Got it. That makes sense. That's what I think happens. And so then Bill says, I don't know any of this. What a year for the Falcons. Dude, what a month. That's terrible. What a month. That's awful. That's awful. I mean, I don't know what kind of guy Arthur Blank is, but that's terrible. You know, apparently Arthur Blank is a really good guy.
He's really concerned about the fans and the image of his team. And he's just decimated. I mean, it's like, you know, first you got Michael Vick and all the shenanigans. Then you got your head coach just up and bailing on you. And now this with Bill Parcells, it's like he can't catch a break. Yeah, that's terrible. And lots of interesting stuff in the sporting world today, including our boy Kyle Turley and Takeo Spikes. Roy Williams, they're done for the season. All placed on IR, so they are officially done. What happened to Kyle? Hurt his ankle, hurt his foot. You know, he's been banged up just, you know, since he's come back. And so, you know, I guess the latest is a foot injury, and they decided to put him on injured reserve. I want to talk to him. He's a good guy. He's a great guy. Hey, Boston Rob. Yo. You hear about this Kurt Schelling stuff? No, I didn't.
It's pretty crazy. Kurt Schilling's a pretty outspoken guy. Oh, yeah. Very much so. He's a very outspoken human being. He's one of those guys who doesn't care. He does not care. He'll say whatever's on his mind. Yeah. You know who Kurt Schilling is, guy? Isn't he like a pitcher and a steroid thing? Bloody Sock. Oh, he's not involved in steroids. Oh, okay. Roger Clemens. Oh, that's who I was thinking of. That's right. Well, Kurt's talking about Roger Clemens. Oh, well, then I'm psychic. That's right. Well, he's talking about it. He says maybe you should give back those Cy Young Awards. Holy moly. Well, what he says is if Rogers found that he used performance-enhancing drugs. Which, how do you find out now? So it's basically like saying, because Curt Schilling knows, how are you going to find out? Well, I'll tell you how you do it. You get a DeLorean, right? Yeah. 88 miles per hour. What happens then? You can go back to the future. I saw a documentary on it. It's not bad. In this case, you'd have to go back to the past, but you say go back to the future. No, that was the name of the documentary. Go back to the past. If he's guilty, he should give back his Cy Youngs. Wow. Those are strong words. Dang. My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show. And
I am 37 years old. I'm going to introduce everybody really quickly and then we're going to talk about our CD signing last night. Oh, yeah. So I am your host. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He's 34 years old. Today he's got on a white t-shirt. Sky is back. Savannah is gone. Thank God. Sky is... I've been working with Sky now since 1999 or 98. Which was it? I think it was 99. I smoked a lot of pot. Well, Skye is a naturally curly-haired Anglo girl. But every once in a while, when she goes to the hairdresser, she will come in with straight hair. So a very curly-haired girl will come in with straight hair. And when she comes in with straight hair, we call her Savannah. Savannah's a lot different than Skye. Her personality, appearance, everything. What? How so?
Well, Savannah's, well, we'll talk about it in a second. I'm intrigued. You got nothing to worry about, Sky. It's not your fault. It's Savannah. Yeah, she gets crazy sometimes. She's pretty nuts. Sean is our sound effects guy. He's got a little five o'clock going on today on the face. Sexy. That's right. Where's Tubbs? Hilarious. Oh, you want to know where Tubbs is? Uh-oh. How about right there? Okay, Sean, I don't want to see that belly. I don't want to see the belly. I don't want to see that. Let me lift up the tarp for you. No, don't lift the tarp up. Sean. Hey, dude. Hey. Sean. Don't need to see the tarmac. Sean. Thank you. Yeah. Sean is a tall guy showing us his gut. So thank you, Sean. Thank you. That's right. You asked for it. And Ashley is our assistant producer. She got her hair done, too.
Her hair looks real nice. Oh. That's right. She is 24 years old. Her hair looks good, Ash. It's in a transitional stage. Mm-hmm. And, like, I'm going to take this next week to just really feel it out because I'm either going to go right back to my platinum blonde or I'm going to go straight up chocolate brown. Do it. Do it, Ash. Straight up, like, fully chocolate brown. But if I do that, like... Chocolate brown. Okay. Well, that's not... That's what I was saying. Let's ring chocolate hair. Wait. No, that's not mine. If she does it, no one will care. Oh, wow. Well, that was really rude. Why would you say that? It's the only thing I could rhyme with hair. Good point. It's the only word. Ash, I think it would be... Powerful. So if I did that. Powerful move. Wow, that's a powerful move. It would have to stick because if I ever wanted to go back to blonde, it would be a process, you know, because if I dye my hair all dark, it's got to stay dark. Don't know. That's right. Wow. We'll have to see what you do. Decisions, decisions. Hey, shut up, Rob. I think it's a good color.
Me too. That color offsets the pits too. No, no, no. The color does. When you see the color, the contrast together. It's like Feng Shui. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like that. It's like that. Boston Rob is our phone screener and Zeth's friend. He's 25 years old. And he's a good guy. Okay. And the skinniness isn't funny anymore. Not at all. Last night, he creeped me out, man. Looking good, right? The Machinist. Yeah, if good, you mean Christian Bale and The Machinist? Yeah. Ooh, thank you. Bulimia. I said, I'm sure, though, that Christian Bale was fatter in the movie The Machinist than Rob is now. He's just got some sort of eating disorder. But what are we going to do about it? All you can do is love him. Real fat. Support. Yeah, you support him. You hope he starts eating sometime. And then Zeth is the youngest person on the show. He's 22 years of age. Never heard of him. He's a good guy. He's a good kid. He's only 22. Boy, do we have things to talk about Zeth, right? And P1 Ryan is in the studio with us today. And Ryan has been a contributor on the Mikey Show for...
A couple of years now, right, Ryan? Turn that microphone. Talk right into the mic. But you got to go back to work pretty soon, right? Yeah, I'll have to go back to work soon. He's off right now with a disability because he jacked his back up. He had surgery, which I'm bummed out that you got to go back to work. Four surgeries. Four surgeries? I'm bummed out that he has to, selfishly, that he has to go back to work because I know it, man. What can I do? I'm going to stick my foot out, try to trip you. Steel chair to the back. That's right. I need you, bro. You got to get some kind of IM system worked up wherever you go work, you know? Blackberry. Yeah, exactly. Get you a Blackberry for Christmas and pretend it's, you know, me being generous. It's really not. It's for me. Anyway, Ryan's a really good dude. He's hanging out in the studio with us today. And if any of you are going, well, why? Why does Ryan get to hang out in the studio? It's not Friday, blah, blah, blah, because he's my friend. So there you go.
at the cricket store on El Cajon Boulevard. And for those of you that were wondering, I was not mugged. None of us were mugged on the way back to our cars. I know that some people that came out were concerned. Did we make it safely to our cars? And Sky walked Eddie and I to our cars, so we were filming this. And so everything was good. But that was... Incredible appearance. And we're doing another appearance tomorrow at 1490 South 43rd Street. And that's the 43rd Street exit from 805. And my advice to you, that's going to be tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. My advice for you, based on last night, show up early and get in that line. Because they got a line going. And it's a pretty nice line. Pretty hefty line. of people that want to get in there to get their CDs bought and signed. And so they let 10 people in at a time get there early. There was a lot of P1s there last night. There was a lot of P1s there last night. But this one, P1 named Mike. Yeah. The best. Let me tell you something. I said exactly what my wife said when I got home and she saw what...
this P1 brought, P1 Mike, when she saw what he brought as a gift last night to us at that appearance, she said what I said, there are no words. There are no words. Does anyone know if Danny put the picture? He did? Yeah, I just checked. They're up. Okay. Sean's going to love this. Sean, wait until you see. Go to www. p1site.com the letter p the number one yeah it's on the right hand side of the front page on p1site.com this guy brings a big present wrapped in gift paper huge and we're like you know what is this we unwrap it and it's this box that has a model inside of it that this guy handmade Now, he didn't put all the different angle pictures. He just put that one picture. No, if you click underneath the picture, it says, like, click here for more pictures. Click here for more photos. You can see all the angles. He brought this thing called Splashly, okay? It's a big box that he custom made, and it looks like a real toy box, but it's giant. It says Splashly the Flood-O-Matic Hydro Lounger, and it's Ashley, a blonde Barbie doll.
passed out on a couch face down face down accurate and it's on a floating device since you know she flooded the apartment whatever and that floating device you know can be and it's just as you scroll through it and you look at it it looks like a real toy Well, no, it really does work. It is. It really is. It floats. He took like a little remote control boat. So underneath the couch is like a little motor and everything. And he said you can take it out on like the lake with the remote control and cruise it around. But you have to see the intricacies of this thing. Yeah. And you have to see like the miniature couch, the miniature blonde Ashley passed out. Just like how much time and effort must have gone into creating this box that looks real. And I said last night we were at the thing, I go, you guys, Sean would flip out if he saw how amazing this thing was. But if you go to ponesite.com, on the right hand side of ponesite.com, it says click here for more photos of Splashly. Can't believe it. And I told this guy.
P1 Mike who made it. I said, dude, I've been in radio for 20 years. I've never seen something handmade by a listener that was this intense. Legit. So awesome. That was this intense and this like intricate and this amazing. It's just amazing. And so you got to go check. Sean's looking at it with his mouth dropped open right now. Dude, I can't believe this thing. It's just amazing. It's just amazing. And the guy was so humble. He was just standing there. He didn't know what to say. We freaked out. And the P1s freaked out that we're there too. They all wanted to buy it and were trying to outfit each other. We're like, that thing's never going to be priceless. It is priceless. And Ashley took pictures with it. And we want to start a whole line of Mikey Show toys. Can you do another one? Like a series? It's like Sky in the Honey Bake Store. Oh, no. Sky with a chopper.
This guy with a honky conk, too. Mike kissing a dog. Why do you gotta go there? I thought we were throwing out toy ideas. I thought we were throwing out toy ideas. Man, couldn't you go for an easier one instead of right for the nuts? Like, go for the arm. First, give me a Charlie horse. First, give me a Charlie horse. First, give me a Charlie horse. First, give me a Charlie horse. Then, go for the nuts. Suck a punch. Oh, man. She goes right for the lowers. I was just saying. I give. Uncle. Uncle. Uncle. So anyway, there's the deal. You can buy another purse or camera if you lose the first one, you know, with this Ashley Splash League toy. Accessories. You can go get the accessories at Ashley's R Us. All right. The purse. You got to get all the stuff, you know. So killer. Very, very cool. Go take a look at that. The appearance itself was incredible. The P1s were great. At one point, all the P1s lined up, and Boston Rob led them through a live, impromptu caroling of the hams. Ham, ham, ham, ham, ham, ham, ham. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. You were laughing. It was ridiculous. That doesn't mean that I wasn't laughing.
This song is ham-tastic. I'd like a basket of ham. Would you like some honey glaze with that? Would you like some honey glaze with that? I would never admit it, but I know that song gets in her head, too. It has to. It has to. It's just human nature. It can't not. It's impossible. It's impossible. It's impossible. It's so catchy. I had it in my head all night when we were at that appearance. It was just in there. I couldn't get it out of there. Yeah. I just kept ham, ham, ham, ham, ham, ham. It was great. P1 Danny has it as his ringtone on his phone. Awesome! He does. And then there was all the fun with the actual signing and writing things on the CDs. Eddie wrote on the picture of Skye. Eddie wrote on her picture. He was writing different things that she likes. On her apron. On her apron.
So the first one was Ham, and that went for a long time. He was signing Sky's name Ham. She thought it was Rob the whole time, which was great. I did. I totally thought it was Rob. Awesome! Then Eddie just wrote the word cash. That's hilarious. Then he put a dollar symbol. It was pretty awesome. So I got home last night, and after the... I just want to say thank you to all the P1s for going out there. It was really great. We're going to do it again tomorrow. Yes. Tomorrow will be at the 43rd Street exit from the 805 at the Cricket Wireless, 1490 South 43rd Street, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch break. Just come on out and see us. Yes. So I got home yesterday. I was talking to my wife for a while. We were talking about the day and the appearance and stuff like that. what we were done talking, it was about nine o'clock at night and I was tired. You know, that's for me. I usually nowadays I'm getting to bed about eight, sometimes even earlier than eight. Sometimes I'm getting to bed at seven 30. And so last night it's like nine o'clock and I'm tired. I'm going out. She goes, honey, honey, before you go to bed, will you watch something that I taped? And I go, Oh no, honey, let's watch. I'll watch too much. Cause please.
And I could tell by the pleas it meant something to her. And I'm still trying to be selfish. And I go, eh. She goes, come on. Is it really a minute? And she goes, yeah. Which I knew that meant, no, it's not. It's longer. And I knew that was a lie. But I was like, all right. And I pretended it was only a minute. So I go and I sit down in the living room. And she plays me. She starts playing it. And it's the Ellen show. And I immediately roll my eyes. I immediately roll my eyes. And I'm like, cause I don't like, I don't watch Ellen. And when she watches it, I, I'm not even in the same room because it's kind of like, um, watching Ellen for me is kind of like, like, uh, wearing secret deodorant, you know, uh, for women, you know, it's like, it doesn't belong. And no offense, Sean, I know you are right with that, but just like I wouldn't put on a woman's perfume.
Right. Like, I'm not going to wear a woman's perfume. I would smell girly. And I kind of get that same feeling watching Ellen. Strong enough for a man made for a woman. Made for a woman. It's not for me. Right. It's for the ladies. And they love it. It smells so good. So immediately I roll my eyes. And she goes, just watch. So Ellen does this thing where she brings people that she sees on YouTube on the show to do whatever they do on YouTube. Okay. Rebecca says that usually it's funny. Well, this one was not funny, but she thought it was really interesting and cool, so she had this person on. It's this tiny Filipino chick from the Philippines, okay? And I got to try to paint the visual for you. She's 15 years old, doesn't speak English that great, and she's very small, okay? Black, long hair.
and dressed real cute, like very practical, you know, black long stockings and a very long skirt, plaid skirt, you know, turtleneck, long sleeve, comes out and is talking to Ellen. And I'm like, what? Why? 28. What I kept saying to you during rehearsal is, wow! Okay, so it's your first time in the United States, and what's your impression? Do you like it? Yes, so much. This is very great, and nice person, nice people, and nice buildings, the lights. I like it very much. Yeah, it must be very different from where you're from, huh? Yeah. So you get the idea. Dad speaking English, you hear the voice, right? Right. On pause. Well, you are amazing. I don't want to talk any longer. I want you to sing, and I can't wait. I have a mic here, and I can't wait for people to see you, and I'll be right here. Thank you. Thank you.
It's like Mel Tillis. And when she's doing it, she's walking around the stage and she's like, I'm like, and Rebecca has this giant smile on her face and she's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's crazy. Yeah, Rebecca, guys, you're welcome. I go, I go, what's up with that, man? That's weird. It was crazy. Did they ask her? Like, how can you sing perfect English? It's crazy. But not only Sing Perfect English, like that good too. Well, yeah. I mean, it's just nutty. It's weird. It's like unicorn-ish. Totally. How crazy is that? That's gnarly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's crazy. What was so funny is they were panning the audience and everybody in the audience is like...
Yeah, right? It's like a mixture of confusion. Dumbfounded. Confusion and like, wow, and just jaws dropped open and just like. Utter shock. My eyes and ears. Yeah. I don't, nothing's working right. Dude, that's what Rebecca said. Rebecca goes, she goes, I've seen this. She goes, I've watched this three times. She goes, I still can't make the connection from eye to brain. Yeah. I still, I can't put it together. Because she finishes that and she's like, thank you. Thank you very much for letting me sing. Wow. Craziness. Dude. So we got a great show for you today. On the show today, we're going to do another Secret Santa. So we're going to be hopefully touching some more people's lives today. We got, what are we going to do today? We got a little Christmas version of Tongue Def Karaoke. How about that? season. That's right. Christmas tone-deaf karaoke. Ashley singing Christmas favorites. And you gotta figure out what it is. We're also going to be doing Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. That's right. And today we will be taking a trip to... That's already messed up, right? Nervous. We will go to Eastern Asia. No!
Okay, first of all, I just looked and I saw what it is. Worst one by far. No, that's impossible. Eddie, Eddie, first of all, I know what that is, okay? And when I saw it, my first thought was, can you eat that? It's impossible. You can eat that? Apparently. That's insane. They ate that in Southeast Asia. And Rob's going to eat it today. Wow. I don't know if I can hang with this one. I know I can't. I don't know. He's going to throw up. There's no doubt in my mind. I don't know that he's even going to be able to get it down. Really? Holy crap. By far the worst. I'm thinking about it and I'm like, first of all, with it, there's nothing you can do. It's not like, can you cook it? What will make it... It's awful. Pepper. A little pepper. Pepper. Oh, I didn't think of that. Pepper. Like Ashley, the way Ashley cooks. Pepper. Yeah, just put pepper on it. Or boil it in water. Oh. Ash. Mm-hmm. Wow. Well. Gosh, I want to know what it is. Dude. I want to know. My brain's still trying to process it. Yeah. Oh. So that's coming up. Oh, my goodness.
Eddie versus the Charger girls are going to be making his picks for this weekend's game. So the Charger girls are coming in. Do we know what girls are coming in yet or no? I believe your girl Chantel's coming in. Nice. I finally saw her on TV. Oh, did you? Yeah. Oh, cool. Yeah, and I paused it and I was like, that's Chantel. She can dance. You go, girl. You go. You go, girl. Gary Hoey in the studio today. Oh, yes. Doing some Gary Hoey Christmas time favorites. That's a Gary Hoey song. Yeah. He did the Padre stuff. How about this one? He did a little remix to the NFL deal. If you're just waking up, Giuliani's in the hospital. Tell you why. Giuliani had to go to the hospital. Spent the night in the hospital. So we'll tell you why. And Louis Black, Ashley? Yes. Louis Black in the stand-up spotlight. I would like to say, Christians, get Christmas under control.
Seriously, it won't stop. It doesn't stop, does it? It's always Christmas now. Used to start on December 1st. That's when Christmas started. 25 days is enough for any holiday. But no, not anymore. Now it starts in like just after July 4th. How long does it take you to shop? Yo, you don't even know what stupid is. The Mikey Show is on. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. went to sleep train. Yes, they did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went.
and to the Cardi Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on a Costco mattress. Sleep Team was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something, so they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name-brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? Awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Thank you. You got it. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. The mayor of Oceanside declared yesterday Pirates Day in honor of the Oceanside's high school football championship win. Terrell Owens says the team is not a fan of Jessica Simpson. Oh, no, he didn't. So I don't know if you guys know this, but Giuliani spent the night in the hospital. They say it was for flu-like symptoms.
But I don't know about that. Must be a pretty bad flu. A real bad flu? He was on a plane. He was heading back to New York. They turned the plane around and took him to the hospital. I haven't had the flu before, but that's a bad flu, man. I often wonder when we hear things like this, are they just extra cautious about the politicians? Or are these just cover stories for what's really going on? Well, yeah. I think the deal is that... you don't want America to think that you can potentially have something wrong with you if you're going to run the country. If you're in bad health. Yeah, and he's got a history of prostate cancer, and he says, oh, yeah, you know, it's gone. The prostate cancer is gone, and that you've defeated it. Maybe he has. But I know that when somebody gets hospitalized, you freak out. And so it sounds like they are definitely trying to get the word out. Oh, no, nothing to see here, nothing to see. Dude's in the hospital, though. Spent the night there. So anyway. Huh. That's the latest, right? There's no more information other than that, right? Right. Just that, you know, they say he should be released today after the overnight stay and head back to New York. All right. Well. You guys ever have this issue with, like, do you have a niece or a nephew and you get into, how else to put it, other than to say outgifting someone else? Oh, I'm the king of outgifters.
Like where you're competing with somebody? I have to. You do? Yeah. And I'm talking about buying for somebody and you have to out-gift them when you're buying for each other, which could mean your husband or your wife, and you have to out-gift each other. Or I'm also talking about if you're in a divorce and you're buying kids' presents and you don't want the ex-wife. To out-gift you. To out-gift you, because you want the kids to think you got them the best present. Yeah, I'm an out-gifter. No question about it. In fact, last night, my wife put another present under the tree, and I said to her, okay, it's on. It's on. It's on. You're getting more presents now. Because I thought I was done. It's like it's a threat. It is. It is. It's on. But specifically, I have this really strong feeling about my godchild. Yeah. i i'm i'm the godfather and then another gal is the godmother and and she's i'm not real close with her um and so we're the godparents and when it was my godchild's birthday she out gifted me and i and i got really mad and i said to myself at that time like i will never let this happen again ah yes
Yes. Like, I will never allow this. How dare she? So her Christmas presents, I went crazy. Really? Yeah. And I'm like, good luck. Top that. Let's see who does better this time. Top it. Sky, do you do any of it? Well, some of you may know I'm a bit frugal. Yes. So my brother is like... He's crazy generous. Like, when it's birthdays, holidays, like, over-the-top generous, my brother and his wife. So, you know, one of the first years when they were a couple, me and my hubby were a couple, giving presents to the parents, I was, like, outgifted by my brother, I'd say by, like, five times. I mean, not just double, but, like, by five times. Does the frugal person care? And I was embarrassed, and I made a mental note going, next year, I'm not going to let this happen. Gather presents throughout the year, regift them as much as possible. But then when it came down to actually spending the ducats, I couldn't. So there's an embarrassment factor. Yeah.
But the frugalness, I guess, wins every time. Yeah, but I felt so outgifted, and I was embarrassed by being outgifted. 570-1053. So my brother won. There you go. Congratulations. Way to go, Joe. My niece is 22 years old, and me and my brother Steve do this with her. He's very close with her, and I'm pretty close to her. I would get her, you know, in the past, I have got her something that is, like, very extravagant. And then he would get her something that was, like, whatever. So now he does a thing where he always asks me, hey, what are you getting, Jen? Wow. And now what I do is I lie. No way. Yeah, nice. I go, oh, you know what? I couldn't decide, so I just got her a gift card to Nordstrom. It's, like, $35. I didn't know what to get her. I didn't know what to get her. Right. You know what I mean? It's a good strategy. You know, and then I'm like, it's a Toyota Yaris. Oh, why are we like that? I don't know why. It's not what it's supposed to be about. It is not supposed to be about that. But it is. But it's fun to make it that. Especially when it comes to, can you imagine the divorced couples? Oh, dude. And the stuff that must go on. Oh, yeah. Hey, Ryan, what about you? You have an ex-wife, right? Yeah. Wait, wait, let me turn this on.
P1 Ryan's in the studio. You got an ex-wife, right? Unfortunately. Do you do that with your kids? She does, but I don't. Really? I know there's more to life than just giving gifts. So you don't participate. You don't go there. No. Yeah, that was my answer, too. There's more to life than just giving gifts. That's a very nice answer. Right. That's what I meant to say. That's a really nice answer. Skrill. I like it. Yeah. It brings you back to the time of the season. Yeah. Just like this. Hmm. Oh, so warm. See, this is what we're supposed to keep in mind when we're thinking of this time of season. Oh, holy night. Thank you, Elmer. Stars are broadly shining. It is the night of our dear... There are only like few people that can hit that note. That note...
This guy's kind of a unicorn in his own way. In a way. In a way. Like with a bent horn. Yes. Like a unicorn with a broken, like a three-legged unicorn. Like a little Shetland unicorn. Yeah, that's right. A Shetland unicorn. Like pulling the Budweiser thing, you know? P1 Don is on the line. Don, are you there? Yes, I am. Go ahead. Okay, my husband and I both come from divorced families. So our kids basically have four sets of grandparents. The holidays and birthdays are incredibly insane because especially the grandmothers, because they don't like each other, try to outdo each other. The one here, no lie. My one, my mother got my daughter a kitten. The other one gets her a rabbit.
I'm like, hello, do you not think of asking the parents because we're the ones that take care of it? That's brutal. You know, when you think about it, how great is it to be the kid on the receiving end of the outgift? And people say that we spoil our kids and, like, we don't have to really buy them much because the grandparents, you know, they fight over it. That's right. Yeah, I didn't even think of the grandparent aspect, but that's got to be crazy. Oh, yeah, and my kids are the only grandkids on both sides, so it's like double the effect. You know? I guess it's all right in that aspect, but it's just, you know, they need to confer with the parents involved. There you go. Thank you very much for the call. We're about to get to a good part of the song, so we have to interrupt you. P1 Syab? P1 Syab? Yes. How are you? I'm good. How are you guys doing? Better now. Yeah. I was just going to say that... It's gotten to the point not only where I have to out-gift everybody because I'm considered a pretty good gift giver. I've had to out-gift myself throughout the years of gift giving. So last year you give something better than the year before, and this year you have to give something better than the year prior. Oh, that's tough. That's a great point. I never thought of that. That's tough. That's true.
Because eventually you get to where you're having to buy somebody a Learjet. Right. Well, for me, you know, I make it a point and I tell all you guys, like, I won't do gift cards. Like, I pay attention to what, you know, we get you guys. And, like, there are times where it's really difficult where I'm like, you know, I didn't think of, you know, I didn't catch something that Skye wanted or whatever. And so then I, like, kill myself to get the perfect gift for her or whoever. I mean, it drives me nuts. We're going to be doing Secret Santa coming up. Hey, shit. I mean, I have six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on the station. Now we got you guys on every morning and stuff like that. Home of the P1s and stuff like that. Christmas is just around the corner. Time is running out. But right now, you've still got a chance to take advantage of huge holiday savings at Guitar Center.

And usually it's shows that we haven't heard of. The show today, Mikey, is called Kenny versus Spenny. So they've both eaten in excess of 13 pounds of meat. No, it's good. So it's the final hours of the competition. They're sitting at the table stuffing down the last remnants of the meat. All right. We get the idea. It's 7-0-4. Jamie Lynn Spears' aunt says that Jamie may have planned her pregnancy to get out from under Brittany's shadow. First bowl game of the season is here in San Diego. San Diego, the Poinsettia Bowl. Navy versus Utah today. Yeah, it's pretty weird, man, that stuff that her aunt is saying. Yeah. Jamie Lynn Spears' aunt.
Do we have audio of her aunt? I think we do. Yeah, there's a lot of Jamie Lynn Spears audio today. Oh, I wonder why. Oh, yeah. Well, not much going on. Dude, I mean, well, listen. They were talking about Jamie Lynn Spears on MSNBC yesterday. Yeah. It was, I mean, this is, yeah, for those of you that are, whatever, with the Britney stuff, this was a more far-reaching story. Definitely a more far-reaching story than you can imagine. No, I don't see the aunt. I see the dude's uncle, the baby's daddy's uncle. Yeah, his uncle has been talking out about it and saying what he thinks about it. And yeah, I do have audio of that. That is cut three. Casey was a fine young man. I did enjoy talking with him. Very kind, very courteous. Easy going, kind of laid back. Jamie, I've met her on a couple of occasions. Only once did I meet her to really talk with her, and that was this past Thanksgiving. And I haven't really talked with any of the family today about it. I've been in town. Of course, we're, you know, shocked to a sense. In one sense, we aren't. But I've seen it through the years, you know, more than I'd like to. What's the sense you're not? Surprise. Perez Hilton.
Did you know anything about it from Fox News? Cut nine. Did you know this was happening? Not even Britney Spears knew. How do we know that? Well, people in Britney's camp and everyone surrounding her talk to the media all the time. Yeah. So every little intimate detail about her life is known. And I guess Britney wanted to make it known that she did not know. Yeah. Here's her saying. This is her basically saying she didn't know. Cut one. My sister's not pregnant. Whatever. Whatever. Y'all, she is not pregnant. That is messed up. That is messed up to say. That's my little sister, y'all. She's only 16. Like, she wouldn't have sex. That's really messed up. Y'all can attack me, but not her, y'all, y'all. Yeah, she's a minor, y'all. Yeah, I'm pregnant. She's not. Y'all, that would make her trash, y'all. So don't say that. Wow. So that was pretty big stuff yesterday. Oh, yeah, huge. So we got that. And then I wanted to know really badly what Dr. Keith Abloh was thinking about. Oh, finally. Oh, the elbow. So finally he spoke out, cut 11. There's a hint of sibling rivalry here, odd as this one is. I want to be pregnant, too. But you know, there's so much attention that's been focused on Brittany. And now the camera lens is shifting a bit. She's into the act now, right? And so her life...
As it sort of unravels, or maybe she's got some more control over it. But now she's front and center. I can get pregnant, too. You're not the only one. I can ruin my life, too. Just because you... You know, have records and you have babies. I can, too. Well, not the records part, but I'll baby you. I can ovulate just like you did. Yeah, I'll ovulate. I'll drop my kid on her head, too. Well, wait. Oh, no. I'll show you, Brittany. You think you're an ovulating head dropper? Well, watch this. Look at me. I'm driving with my kid in my front lap. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Only I have a blindfold on. Yeah, beat that. I'm better than you. Wow. Try that one on for size, sis. Impressive. Crazy. So, Katie Holmes, yesterday, I don't know if it was yesterday, actually. Yeah, I think it was earlier this week. She decided to go shopping, you know, because it's Christmas time. Well, it was her birthday this week. She turned 29. Tom Cruise's wife. Current wife, yes. So, she decided that, you know, she's going to go shopping, and just like all of us right now when we go to Fashion Valley, she dropped 100K. Whoa!
Just a couple hours. It's about $100,000. $100,000. What does she buy? What can you buy? Some of the things they list are a $30,000 watch, a $1,400 ski coat, four pairs of shoes at over $800 a pair. Gold and bouillon. And a $5,000 dress for baby Suri. $5,000 for a baby's dress that she will grow out of in about two seconds. Wow. What is that all about? Is it because it's designer? Burberry, probably. I don't even think Burberry... That's a very popular brand, but I don't even think you can get that up to 5K, can you? It's probably something we've never even heard of. Some European joke. That's my guess. Hey, did we talk about the... Yeah, I think we did about the father that took his kids and wanted to go get a Christmas tree and disappeared. Did we talk about that on the air? Yeah. So this was up in Northern California. And as soon as this guy said it, you know, that they were missing, I said, why are they out there trying to cut down a tree where they're not supposed to be? And like, you know what, man? Go to a street corner where trees are for sale. Hey, dude, Costco, Greg. Yeah, dude. Right in the front. Yeah. It's great. Here's my suggestion. 15 bucks. Why don't you rough it in the parking lot of Home Depot? Seriously.
Take the kids and go to Home Depot. They'll even strap it on the car for you. Exactly. But this guy felt like he had to take the kids out into the wilderness where it was snowing and chop down a real tree. Which, by the way, I think there are places that are set up to do that, but they're like places. Right, they're like Christmas tree farms. Yeah, and they're growing in the ground and everything. You can cut it down, but it's like a place. Yeah, that's where I used to go growing up. Yeah, my wife did too. You're not supposed to go out in the wilderness. Right. Put it on the board. You're not supposed to. Because that was the problem. They parked their car, they went out, they actually found a tree in the wilderness, cut it down, but then couldn't find their way back to the car. How long were they missing for? Three days. And the poor mom, you know, because it's a divorced mother and father, and he had the kids, right? Yeah. Frederick Dominguez is his name. They've all been found alive. Wow. Thank goodness. Alive. This is the father. Frederick Dominguez, cut 30. When it boils down to it, you have your faith, you have family, and you have your friends, and that's it. And you know what? When you're in a place where you think, wow, we may not make it, all you want to do is tell those people how much you love them, how much you miss them, and how much you respect and love them. And you know what? I'd probably do a little more now than I ever would before because you do. They survived by eating snow.
You're not supposed to do that. You're not supposed to eat snow? Uh-uh. How come? It freezes your core temperature. Oh. It makes you basically freeze to death. Gosh. Don't you watch Bear? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that what Bear does for the water is he sticks it in the canteen and sticks it in his pants. Yeah, pretty much. And it melts the water. You can drink it that way. He said the kids slept inside a log for warmth and their socks were all cold so they took their socks and shoes off and then would stick their bare feet on each other's stomachs to try and keep warm to avoid hypothermia. It probably worked. Probably saved their little feetsies. I wonder if mom was mad at ex-husband about that. I wonder if there was any discussion after the tears of joy. So do I pick him up next weekend, same time, or what? Right. Union Tribune says that Mike Aguirre may be shady, and Mike Aguirre says the Union Tribune is trying to smear me, and I have audio of that. I'm Jeff Daly with Traffic or Rock 105.3. Let me tell you something. Cricket is fantastic. Last night, we had a chance to meet all the cool people down at Cricket. And you know how we've told you, the people are what sets Cricket apart. It's true. The people down at Cricket are really, really awesome people. The deal is customer service. But not only that, last night we found out that part of the deal is just cool supplies. Oh, yeah. No question. Especially now, right before Christmas, they just have cool stuff that you can buy for your phone. Yeah. One of the coolest things that I liked about that Cricut store is they had this huge flat screen computer thing. Oh, yeah. Where it's like it was a touch screen. And it had all the different styles of phones and things on there. And you just hit. the phone that you were interested in, and, like, this whole display comes up. You guys see nerd playing with that? Oh, yeah, dude. Like, I was having him show me how to do it because I'm not a nerd. Right. And he knew. He knew how to do it. Like, two seconds. I think he designed it, actually. He would be right. Probably. So, I mean, they got so much stuff there. It's just awesome.
Speaking of Cricket, we are going to be doing an appearance tomorrow at Cricket selling our Best of CD. There's a list of all the Cricket locations that we're selling our Best of CD at for $10. And if you want to get it, you can go to our website, MikeyShow.com. It'll show you exactly where the locations are. But tomorrow we're going to be doing an appearance from 11 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon at 1490 South 43rd Street. And that's just off 43rd Street in the exit of 805. So come down there and see us. Remember, all the money we raised from the CD is going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. And so it'd be really nice to get people down there tomorrow, 11 to 1. Buy the CD. Meet us. Have us sign the CD for you. And again, that's tomorrow, 11 to 1. Hopefully you can take your lunch break there. And if you can't, go ahead and just quit your job. Come down and see us. It should be great. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. The Zendier. I consider myself the perfect Mexican. Wow. I love Christmas. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I'm just rarely wrong. Sean. You know I'm terrible at getting gifts. Yes. Boston Rob. That's what I'm doing. That sounded hard. And Ashley. I don't get along very well. I don't think with like...
Normal, boring people. Oh, come on. Wait a minute. It's the Mikey Show on The Rock. This is Blacklight Burns, which Nine Inch Nails called. They want their sound back. Oh. Welcome back. It's 721. Two Colorado teenagers are accused of killing a seven-year-old girl after being inspired by the video game Mortal Kombat. Hey, don't worry, Padre fans. We got it now. Padre signed their backup catcher, Michael Barrett. and two minor league contracts for former Padre Robert Fick and Jeff Devannon. Wow. We're good. We're good. Well, that's what was needed. I think that that's really what was needed there. In fact, now I think we can all start making our reservations for the World Series. Pretty much. I think it's going to be great. Welcome back. Oh, no. You've got to be. No. Not now. Bad timing. I mean, you're joking. Not now. Stop.
Worst timing. I guess I could put the music up to try to drown it out. I think you'll hear it, Mike. You can still hear it in the background? Yeah, loud and clear, actually. Well, let's get into the spirit, huh? You know what our Christmas wish is. I wish that wasn't distracting. Still going, Mike. Shauna, is there anything you can do or anything? This is a professional broadcast studio. Yeah. Did Jeff and Jer have one of those in the studio? Does anyone know? Yeah, I think they do. No, come on. Every studio looks the same. They all have that. But Jer wouldn't put up with that. Well, because their studio did get remastered, so. Got remastered? Remastered. They got new lights, they got new carpet. Zeppelin? Reinvented? That's what I should do to make a point. Like, if they don't...
Bought it on the board. If they don't have it, I should just go into their studio and go... It's Christmas time. So we're doing something called Secret Santa. The idea is, if you know somebody in need, all we need you to do is go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W dot com. Write us and tell us about the person. This is music from the film Love. Actually. Oh, great Christmas movie. Eddie will have to respectfully disagree that that is a Christmas film, but... Well, it's not. Well, it is. We could play this, I guess, at, like, Valentine's Day. How dare you? How inappropriate. How offensive. It's a good point. In that order. It's not about Christmas. It's about love, actually. It's in the title. It's in Christmas, actually. They should have called it that. The worst. All right, so listen to this. Let's get another one going.
This email says, Mikey, this family is really in need. Dad works as a janitor. The mom stays home and cares for their severely handicapped child, who is eight years old and is the youngest of three. They also have an 11-year-old girl who loves Hannah Montana and a 16-year-old son who is into wrestling. This family can really use grocery gift cards, bathroom necessities, or maybe some toys for the kids. This would be a great blessing for this family. Thank you. In his service, Carmel Valley Preschool. Very nice. On the phone with us right now, we have Donnie. Donnie, are you there? Yeah, this is me. How are you, Donnie? I'm fine. Now, you're the guy that's the dad, right? You are the guy that works as a janitor? Yes, I am. And you've got how many kids? I have three kids. One is 16, one is...
11 and 8. The younger one is disabled. And it's been, I'm guessing it's been kind of a hard holiday season for you guys and you working the job that you work and trying to work as hard as you can to be able to afford to get them presents, right? That's right. Well, what we would hope to be able to do for you today, Donnie, is make the holiday season a little bit brighter. We're going to give you a $500 gift card to Target. God bless. You can use that any way that you'd like and hopefully get those kids some presents and stuff and make their Christmas a little bit brighter. Oh, thank you very much. You got it. You got it. I'm going to put you on hold. Hang on a second, Donnie, okay? Okay, thank you. That's what the holiday season is all about. I love it. That's why we're doing it. Yes. Our next letter is from Megan Pfeffer. She says, my mom has been in and out of the hospital for heart problems and complications from her diabetes. She and my brother lost their home because she lost her job and can't find work. They stayed with me for a while, but I was going to get evicted. My mom was so worried for me, she left and took my brother. After having to stay with abusive relatives, they're now in an unfurnished trailer with a huge hole in the roof. My brother's trying to be brave, but he's only 11. Oh, shit.
They don't have anything. Mikey, please help. That's P1 Megan. We weren't able to get Megan on the phone. We weren't able to get her mom on the phone. But what we are going to do is we're going to be giving her mother a $1,000 gift card to Ikea. And hopefully that can start that process of rebuilding the furniture that they have lost. Ikea's awesome. Yeah, that should absolutely help. That is huge. We hope so. Wow. And Rob is working on it. We may be able to get Megan or her mom on the phone a little bit, so we're working on it. But IKEA was very, very generous in saying that we brought the idea to them, and they said, listen, we got it. Don't worry about it. Wow, that's rad. What's amazing about that is that they don't have to do that. Oh, not at all. And no one listening would have ever known that they didn't, because we wouldn't have said it on the air.
The fact that they did, I'm glad we're able to let people know that Ikea is just an incredible company and they came through pretty big time. Speaking of that, brings me to my third one. Three? Yeah, third one. That's awesome. Our third letter says, Mikey, you may not remember who I am, but you know my husband, P1 Ryan. I do. He's sitting right in front of me. As you know, Ryan recently had back surgery and lost his home in the fires. Thanks to some generous people at our church, we were given an old mattress set. It's set up from sleeping on the floor, but it's killing his back and causing excruciating cramping in his left leg. Is that true, Ryan? What's the deal with this mattress? Yeah, we were given a mattress from some of the people at the church we attend, and it's a little bit worn out.
So what happens as you're sleeping and it's just that you're moving around because of the back and your leg will start to cramp up? Yeah, I can only sleep on my right side. Oh, wow. And that's not how I've been sleeping. So I don't sleep much right now. He's unable to work due to his back injury. We're struggling to get by on my receptionist job and his workman's comp while supporting four kids. I really want to get him a nice mattress or at least not a bad one. I can't stand seeing my husband in pain, and he has far too much pride to ask for himself, and I know that he does. I know this guy pretty well, and I know he does. She says, normally I do too, but pride doesn't matter when it comes to my family. He doesn't know I'm writing this because I don't want to embarrass him. Anyway, we love your show. God bless you and Erica. Ryan, Leap Train, who is one of my sponsors, is a very...
very cool sponsor and they are going to give you a thousand dollar gift certificate to sleep train uh which will provide you with a much nicer mattress in bed than the one that you're sleeping on right now and hopefully we can uh get the cramping to stop in the leg you'll be able to uh send me more jokes via i am as you can see this is a purely selfish plan on my part right to get you to continue to contribute to the mikey show But anyway, dude, you've got such an awesome wife. Erica is so cool, man. She's great. And that was very, very cool of her. And I want to say thank you very much to Sleep Train as well because it's just another example of a company that they didn't have to and nobody would have been the wiser. Good people. They're really good people. I've been in a partnership with Sleep Train now for years and years. And there's a reason for it. They're good, good people. And you got to think about that. Just think about companies that you know that do stuff like that and who you want to do business with. That's just a cool thing. You know what I mean? Very cool thing. So Merry Christmas to hopefully these people that we've been able to help a little bit today.
And, dude, I can't wait for you to get this mattress, Ryan. I hope you go get it today. Honestly, if you go down there today, honestly, they'll have it at your house by 2 o'clock this afternoon. That's so awesome. So, Merry Christmas, and we'll be right back. What's a P1? P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. Home of the P1 Army. The Mikey Show. I'm telling you that I believe that I would be the best person to change your diaper. I don't care, dude. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it, that's a flaw in my character. Sky. I'm a wealth of knowledge. Sean. And I can't, so it's really difficult. Seeing myself dispute. Myself on my sleeve. The Mikey Show's on. Like. 105.3. Eddie was just suggesting to Ryan, you might want to get two twin beds when you go to sleep train. And Sky didn't like the suggestion. I go, yeah, it's not bad. It'd be like Desi and Lucy. Well, I think our grandparents had it right. You know, I mean, you sleep separately. You push them together when you want to be intimate with your wife. And then you move them apart when you want to sleep. Yeah.
But then how do you cuddle and get a little back rub as you're falling asleep? Who beats that? Everyone. It's 738. Britney Spears wants to have her kids drug tested to try and prove that K-Fed smokes pot. Bill Parcells turns down a deal with the Falcons and has a four-year deal in place with the Miami Dolphins for their vice president job. I've told you before that in other cities, people don't know who the city attorney is. If you live in other cities, most people, they don't know who the city attorney is. And the reason is because the city attorney is really not, I don't, my opinion, I don't think that the city attorney is the sort of position where you're hearing from that person all the time. Definitely not. Well, in fact, even our own mayor, we don't hear from as much as we hear from Mike Aguirre. Seriously.
Mike Aguirre, he will hold these impromptu press conferences and he will communicate at times with people through a press conference in the media. And it makes me think, well, is it that he wants to be, you know, on TV? Is it about getting, you know, FaceTime? But the UT just did this story on Mike Aguirre. Yeah, it was yesterday's front page. Yesterday's front page of the Union Tribune. And basically the story is that Mike Aguirre had a guy that was working on his campaign, on Aguirre's campaign, when he was trying to get elected as city attorney. And what did the guy do when he was working on the campaign? He was like the treasurer or something of the campaign. Okay, so he's the treasurer. So then Aguirre hires him for like $130,000 he gives this friend of his, right?
Of taxpayer money. Of taxpayer money. And what is it for? Like, what is he paying him to do? Geary had filed a lawsuit in regards to city pension benefits, and he hired his former campaign treasurer to be an expert witness in the case, to testify as an expert witness. Now, the Union Tribune says this guy's not an expert at all. Right. Right? And also, the guy never ended up taking the stand, either. but was still paid just under $130,000, according to the UT story yesterday. So what did he do? Well, basically, Aguirre is now saying that the UT is trying to slam him. No, no, no, no. What did the guys, what was his participation, the friend? Oh, what did he actually, according to yesterday's UT article, they say the only thing that he actually produced was a one-page summary of somebody else's findings in regards to the benefits, so pension benefits. So basically, he did a little book report on somebody else's research, and that's all he did.
did, and was paid $130,000. Sounds like Rob's high school career. Now, check this out. Check this out. There are seven people on the Mikey Show. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston, Rob, and Seth. There are seven people on this program. Now, let's say that you use the analogy that the Mikey Show is like the city government, and I'm the mayor, okay? This would be like Boston Rob or Zeth. Okay, let's take Zeth. It would be like Zeth. Every day, or not every day, but very often, when the show is over, Zeth goes out into the public and he does something to make himself known in local media, on the news, in the newspaper. He makes noise. And so people start to know this name, Zeth. They say, wow, the set is at it again. He's saying something else. Now, on any other show, somebody in Zeth's position, you would never even hear from them. You don't know who they are. Because he mumbles. I don't think that's what he meant. I mean, that's a valid point. Not what I meant, really. Oh, go ahead. So, on any other show, you wouldn't necessarily know who that Zeth guy is, right? Okay. Now, what I think,
is that what Aguirre is now saying is probably right. When he says that it's a... Because what he's saying today is it's a smear campaign by the UT. Now, if by smear campaign you mean they're trying to shine a light on me, you're right. But the only reason that they know your name to shine a light on you is because you let them know it. Thank you. Otherwise, they wouldn't be interested. Let's say that there's somebody on the... Let's say that there's somebody on the Dave Chalian Chainsaw show that we just don't know who they are because they don't make a lot of noise. Let's say that there's some guy named Steve on the show we don't even know about because Steve doesn't say much, okay? Now, if Steve's doing the thing where Steve's yelling all the time, maybe people notice and they go, and by the way, everything Steve is yelling is always negative. Oh, yeah. Basically condemning that show.
Exactly. You know? Exactly. The show that he works for. The show that he works for, he's on there and he's bad-mouthing him. It would make sense that the Union Tribune would go, wow, this guy's an interesting guy. Let's find out more. What's up with it? Why is he always in the news? Yeah, Steve is making so much noise that I wonder what's up with him. And so the UT did this story yesterday. Front page. Well, is it any surprise that there's a soundbite by Mike Aguirre today? And where do you think, I don't know the answer to this. This is a rhetorical question. I don't know if they got it because they went to him or it wouldn't surprise me he held a press conference. Probably has him on speed dial. Well, that's what the, and Sean saw the video too of this and that's what it looked like, huh, Sean? Like he was sitting behind a desk with like a microphone. Like he held a press conference. Aye, aye, aye. Yeah.
So it isn't sitting behind a desk and the news came to him and said, can we interview you? It didn't give you that impression? Not to me, no. To you, it looked like he said, hey, I'm going to hold a press conference, come down and interview me. Yeah, I got something to say. Don't know which it is. I don't know. We don't know. But that's what it looked like. Cut 29. The thing is, I mean, everyone knows that the UT is trying to get me out of office. And any kind of idea that they're, you know, objective. I mean, they want to return to the old ways where they ran the city. They still run a good portion of the city, but they don't run the city attorney's office. Can you imagine the field day that his next opponent is going to have? Oh, please. I mean, can you imagine? Talk about ammunition for the gun. Should be so easy. They got so much ammo now. It's like, yi-yi. So Aguirre does claim that the story in the UT yesterday was slanted to make it look like that his boy who came to testify was underqualified when he claims that is not the case. He says the fees he was paid was not out of line with standard fees paid in this kind of big money litigation. And the reason he didn't testify is because the judge dismissed the case before the guy had a chance to testify. So that's Aguirre's side of the story.
Well, I mean, he's got to say something, right? He's going to have to respond to it one way or the other. Or not. Yeah, like he's not going to respond to something. Give him a break. Your guy loves it. Let's see. Hey, Mikey, what's the deal with that printer thing in your studio? The sound is so annoying. Why would they allow anything that sounds that annoying in your studio? Sincerely, Sky's voice. Oh, fuck. My voice did not write that email. P1 Hamster. P1 Ham. That's from P1 Hamster. Right. I'm going to throw it away. Oh, well, you should, because my voice did not write that email. I'm crumpling it up. Okay. I think it's crumpled. I had to make sure it was all crumpled and thrown away. It's terrible. It's plenty crumpled. Hey, did we talk about what that lady said to Sky about her hair at the appearance last night? Oh, my God, dude. That was...
Crazy. Dude, it was kind of crazy. I didn't hear it. Sky told me about it. Yeah, Eddie heard it. You heard it, Eddie? Oh, yeah, I was dumbfounded. Yeah. Just like, whoa. What happened? Well, so we're doing the appearance, and I rarely wear my hair straight, maybe like three times a year. I'll have my hair flat ironed, and yesterday was one of those days when I had my hair straight. And so this gal, you know, goes through the line getting her CD autographed. And she says, oh, my gosh, I love your hair straight so much. It's such like a good modern look for you. She goes, because that curly hair of yours is just so outdated and like not with the times. Not realizing that the straight hair was. Only something you did for the day. Well, I only do it maybe like three days out of the whole entire year. And then every other day, my hair is naturally curly. It's outdated. Which obviously means I'm straight out of the 80s. I mean, what do you say to something like that? What did you say? Nothing. I was just like, oh. And then signed. Because, I mean, of course, I wanted to start calling her names. Oh, wow. That would have been compelling.
Curly hair is outdated. People have curly hair. They can't help it. Skye can't help it. This is how I was born. I was so like, okay. She's like, Skye, I'm so glad that you're working on becoming African American because white, being white is so 1994 out. Yeah, it's really out. I just don't know how people don't get... I mean, I want to know, like, was she really trying to insult me? Or did she really truly think she was like paying me a compliment? I don't know. I don't know. It's like the lady that wrote me the email the one time that said, I just want, you know, I just, we had just had Jake. Jake was a newborn. And she wrote me this email and said, I just want to let you know, be weary of people that say, be cautious of people that say that your son, is cute because it usually means your son is ugly. And the reason is because of the words that we use. This is what she's saying to me. It's the words that we use. She said, when people say cute, they mean something different. If your child is attractive, they will always say that your child is beautiful or they will say, like she was telling me the words that they would use. And it was a real long email.
And at the very bottom of the email, she said, and I am so glad that you posted those pictures of your son. He's the cutest little boy I've ever seen. Oh, wait. Oh, whoa. But you just said. Oh, wow. And so I said, I wrote her back. I said, you said cute's ugly. So you're saying my son is ugly? Oh, what? Not to mention the fact that I don't think people mean your kid's ugly when they say he's cute. No. I don't think so. Listen, people, they don't realize what they're saying sometimes. Idiots! They say some crazy stuff. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us. We got open phones tomorrow. We're going to be splitting, so we want to get as much time in with the P1s as we can. hooked me up, and I got a new, a brand new 2008 RAV4, which I'm just in love with. When did you get it? About two or three weeks ago, I think. Does it still smell like a new car inside? It does, and I got leather seats in it, so it's like super exciting. I've never had leather seats before. That is so cool. They were so, so nice, and when we were doing the negotiations, the general manager came over and talked to us, and He actually told me I was getting a honey-baked ham of a deal, so that just kind of got me up in the middle of negotiations. Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on The Mikey Show. It says, Splashly the Flood-O-Matic Hydro Lounger. And it's Ashley, a blonde Barbie doll cast out on a couch. And it's on a floating device since, you know, she flooded the apartment. Whatever. And this guy, he won Mike who made it. I said, dude, I've never seen something handmade by a listener that was this amazing. And we want to start like a whole line of like Mikey Show toys. Yeah. Like Sky and the Honey Bake Store. Yeah.
Oh, no. No. Sky with a chopper. Mike kissing a dog. Why do you gotta go there? I thought we were throwing out a toy idea. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Hi. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 8 o'clock. Tony Parker has filed a lawsuit against a tabloid website over their story that he was cheating on his wife, Eva Longoria. Hurt Schilling says if Roger Clemens is guilty, he should give back his sight on the words. Microsoft is making a rare appearance in the studio. Oh, what? A cheat. Most of our listeners, dude. Russell's in here. Russell, go over to Sky's mic. I'll have to turn the mic way down. Wait a minute. I just needed to make sure I adjusted it. Stop it.
So, yeah, Russell, a lot of people don't know Microsoft, who was clearly our favorite. He was like our goal. He's the number one top seller guy on Rock 105. A lot of people don't even know he's not with Rock 105 anymore because he got promoted. He did so good, they promoted him. That's garbage. That's crazy. That is garbage. I'm such a selfish person. I was really irritated about it. So was I. I was trying to act like I was happy for you, and I guess somewhere deep down in my cold heart I was. Oh, dude, I talked crap about him so that he wouldn't get hired. Really? Yeah, like I said to the big boss, like, oh, that's a bad decision. Like, he is bad for me. He will mess you up. I tried. It worked. Well, I tried. It worked. I was going through everything with Rebecca kind of in panic mode. Well, you do now. He's gone, and what are we going to do? But you're real happy. What are you doing now? What do you got? What is the job that you have? I'm the sales manager for Extra Sports 1360, our new sports talk station. You're doing good? Bring it back in sports. Look at this. He's all dressed up. He's got the nice suit on. Oh, I'm not the president. Look at me. Not so much the president. Right into the mic. There you go.
Just like that, Russell. It's this guy's mic, so it's kind of jacked up already. It is. It's really weird. It sounds so different to hear someone else talk to that mic. Like a human being. Hey, Russell, can you do me a favor, man? Yeah. When you talk in that mic, can you use this? No, seriously. It's a megaphone. Try it. In all honesty, just press the button and talk into it. Let me interview you. Hi, Mike. That sounds perfect. It sounds better. Much better. It does. I'm not kidding. Dude, perfectly. Crystal clear. Oh, my gosh. Let me get closer. I'm not kidding. No joke. I'm not kidding. That sounds perfect. Can I renew it? Russell. Be cool, man. Russell's bitter because I beat him in the fantasy football. Boo. Yeah, that's right. This last weekend. And Eddie's playing in the toilet bowl this weekend. Who's your opponent? Who is my opponent? Who's he got, Eddie? Anybody good? Not really. He's got Eli Manning, who's terrible. Edron James, Frank Orr, who've had bad season. Andre Johnson's good. Greg Jennings is good. Ashley's booing that thing. Stop it, Ashley. It's the sound effect. I'm not doing that. It's Sean. Will you quit it? Sean, stop.
But I'm looking at you doing it, though. You're trying to do a show. He's not even playing it, though. Sean, seriously. Russell, thank you. Thank you for coming in. Thank you for having me. Yeah, we appreciate it. Perfect. We'll get Sky back on that mic now. Back it way down, dude. Go ahead, Sky. See you guys. Later. Hi. There you go. There I am. Sounds perfect. Yeah, thanks. So Giuliani spent the night in the hospital, and they say that he's losing ground with voters. And they're saying that this cheesy ad that he put out may have something to do with it. Cut 15. With the primaries coming so early this year, I've got to tell you, I'm having a little trouble getting my holiday shopping done. So I'll be working to get everyone the same gift. A safe America, lower taxes, secure borders, job growth, fiscal discipline, strict constructionist judges.
A fruitcake or something. A fruitcake? What? Be a really nice fruitcake with a big red bow on it or something like that. I'm Rudy Giuliani and I approve this message. Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays. Uh-oh. What a jerk. Now, don't play that commercial for me. My guy, Mike Huckabee, he's under fire for his Christmas ad that... Do we still have the ad that his ad? Yeah, I'll find it real quick. Okay. Well, wait, wait. Before you do. Yeah. I think I found it. Let's hear the ad. Are you about worn out of all the television commercials you've been seeing? Mostly about politics. I don't blame you. At this time of year, sometimes it's nice to pull aside from all of that and just remember that what really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ and being with our family and our friends. I hope that you and your family will have a magnificent Christmas season. And on behalf of all of us,
God bless, and Merry Christmas. I'm Mike Huckabee, and I approve this message. Okay, so Huck is under some scrutiny. You guys are that close? Yeah, I like to call him Huck. Nice. But he's under some scrutiny because they say that it contained a, quote, white cross subliminal message. So here's Huck responding. Cut 16. There was a bookshelf behind me. A bookshelf. And so now I have these people saying, oh, there was a subtle message there. Actually, I will confess this. If you play the spot backwards, it says Paul is dead. Paul is dead. So I didn't get it. But apparently behind him, there's like his books are arranged so that there's a white cross and that's what people are saying. I don't know. It sounds like that's the deal. It sounds like that's what they're saying. I don't know. But, you know, yesterday when I was driving to the appearance, I was listening to talk radio. And on the satellite, they have a channel that's right and they have a channel that's left. So it only comes out of one speaker? The right channel? Not exactly. Oh, okay. They have a conservative Republican station and they got a liberal Democrat station. Oh, okay. That's different. So I was listening to the two of them and I realized I can't stand either one. I'm so with you on that. I was hearing this Republican talk and I was squinting the whole time.
And I was going, oh, dude, get over yourself already. And then he's saying stuff. And I go, you're blowing that out. That's not really the way it is. And I'm Republican. I'm a conservative Republican. I'm listening to this guy. I'm going, dude, that's not really true. And if you say it like that and liberals hear it, they're going to think that we're full of baloney. Is anybody really full of baloney? Well, there's people that are full of ham. Yeah, for sure. You don't have to name any names. I think we get where you're going with that. I like ham. So you're talking about Sky? Yeah. Well, you said it. I wasn't going to name names. Yeah, now the ham's out of the bag. My bad. So then I listened to the Democrat station. Same thing. Like, oh, bro. What a bunch of BS. It was all a bunch of BS. The both of them. The Republicans and the Democrats.
This was Huck on the Today Show yesterday, and they said, what's up with you, you subliminal message man? That's 17. Now in this ad, you say people should be celebrating the birth of Christ while the shape of a cross appears to take shape behind you. And that has led some to say that this is another overt religious appeal to voters. What do you say about this ad and about those criticisms? That floating cross is a bookshelf, Meredith. We were all amused. The production crew, I think, probably more than anyone who put the spot. together. So you didn't see that image when you put the spot together, that it might be confused? Absolutely not. I'd love for you to interview the crew. They would find this incredibly amusing. People are looking for anything in the world. It's almost like it's so politically incorrect to say Merry Christmas anymore. I find this pretty amazing. I mean, somebody's probably going to figure out that as I was blinking my eyes, I was saying some special code, Morse code, and telling people a subliminal message. I mean, it's just beyond ridiculous. You can't even say Merry Christmas without people
People getting all sensitive about it. Wow. Oh, that's crazy. That's crazy. That's interesting stuff. Oh, man, we got some good audio today. I want to get into all of this stuff. And we have a very special Christmas edition of Tone Deaf Karaoke. And coming up next, Bizarre Foods with Boston Labs. Wait, I'm not ready yet. Yeah, I got to get prepared. It makes it worse. I was 10 yards away from the play and running down to the ball, and I was healed by one guy and rolled up going by another, so they both got signed for that. Was it Titan players that said that? It was some of our guys. I don't know if they spoke to Titan players or what, but I think they just made that whole thing a lot bigger than what it was. Obviously, they were test stars that they might have thought that I ran an event or hit them intentionally, but it wasn't intentional at all. Mikey. The Mikey Show continues. Welcome back. It is 8-17. The mayor of Oceanside declared yesterday Pirates Day in honor of Oceanside High's football championship win. Got the poinsettia bowl today at Qualcomm Stadium, Navy versus Utah. Next hour in studio, Gary Hoey. And Gary's a good friend of ours. He is in a little early, so Gary, you get to watch what we're about to do, which is going to be pretty disgusting. So Boston Rob is outside right now. We do not let him do this indoors. Every week we do it. It's called Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob. And today we travel to Eastern Asia. Bizarre!
Are you ready for this? No. No, I'm not. I need a minute. If my wife is listening right now, she knows what this is, and she's going to want to vomit. Oh. I don't know. Boston Rob is going to eat sea cucumber. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Gary, you ever been to Hawaii? Yes. You ever been to Maui? Yes. Whenever we've gone to Maui, we've seen these creatures. Yeah. You know, in person. And the deal is, is that they usually show up in like tide pools. Yeah. And they are these black. Picture like a really large sausage. Like large sausage. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's black. And it comes from the ocean. And when you see them in the seawater, they're disgusting looking. I mean.
They're slimy. They're disgusting. And when you're walking in the tide pools, you have to avoid them because if you touch them, they're just gross and slimy and they'll just gross you out. They look like big fat worms. Oh, that is gross. Yeah, like worms from like a horror movie. What are they called again? Sea cucumber. So let me read you a little bit. Robbie, you there? Yeah. Let me read to you what is up with sea cucumber. Are you ready? I guess. Sea cucumbers are generally scavengers. Feeding on debris on the bottom of the ocean. The diet of most... The diet of what? Did you just smell it? I just touched it. Oh, man. See, the girls from promotions, you should see their face because they facilitate this every week, and I have never seen them make faces. Like, they're standing back. No, I can't eat this. They're standing back and holding their nose. Yes, you can. So let me keep reading, okay, Rob? Okay. Let's see. The diet of most cucumbers consists of plankton and decaying organic matter found in the sea. Come on.
While largely unknown in the English-speaking world, sea cucumber is considered a delicacy in Far East countries such as Malaysia, Japan, And Indonesia. Well, maybe if it's a delicacy, maybe we just have it all wrong. Yeah, maybe. I've been to every country he just mentioned. I've been to every one, and they're crazy. They won't put anything on a stick. Gary, you're not helping. That's not the time. Right, Gary? Have you ever seen grosser food anymore? Dude, it's so gross. And they put everything on a stick, and you're walking down the street, and they put it in your face, and it's still wiggling. It's gross. It's not helping. It's not helping at all. I can't watch this week. No, Eddie, you have to. I won't. Listen, Gary says they put it on a stick. If that'll make it easier for you, Rob, you can put it on a stick. Corn dog. Corn dog. No, that's not going to help. This thing has the consistency of, like, a bouncy ball. Hey, listen to this, Rob. Besides being valued for flavor-enhancing properties, C. Cucumber is widely regarded as a stimulant naphrodisiac. Hey! Sexy tie. Yeah, you...
Your girl will walk in the room and say, see cucumber. Black in color and able to change shapes easily, the cucumber does not look particularly appetizing. Why is cucumber in the name? It's because it's shaped like a cucumber. It's the size of a large cucumber. He's flapping it against the window. Looks like it has a mouth. Let's see. It was once described by a food critic as tasting like, quote, a tire filled with salt water and squid ink. Oh, my God. That sounds delicious. I can't do it. I hate this. I think I do too. Stop banging it. He's banging it against the window. Get the window all grody.
He just smelt it. Well, he who smelt it dealt it. Give it a little kiss. No. Sick person. Sick person. It looks like a banana gone bad. Like, really bad. That's a great call. That's a great call. But bigger. It looks like a banana that's gone bad. Oh, what? What does it smell like? Okay, you know when you go down to, like, the docks or something and people are just cutting up fish? Yep. Like, fresh fish guts. That's what it smells like. Oh. Like, I don't even think a seagull would eat this. No, I put money on that. I don't think a seagull would eat this. That is the filthiest looking thing. Oh, I'm so glad. Here comes the shakes. What are you doing? Oh, is he shaking? Is he starting to shake? All right, Rob, you ready? I'm ready to come back into that. I don't want to see this. I'm so glad you're outside because I don't want to smell that foul, filthy... That should be a guaranteed barf. Anytime you're ready. I can't. I can't. Hey, can you please? Rob, I don't know what to say, bro. Look at that thing. I know. I know. Okay. It feels like a bouncy ball, though. If it's a delicacy, maybe it'll taste different than it smells and looks. Right.
Yeah, don't taste me, bro. Maybe. Don't taste me. Yeah, that's what it's saying. Don't taste me, bro. Okay. You do this. What's he doing? Come on. You got this, guy. It's going to be awful, Rob. One, two. I can't. I don't want to see this. You ready, Rob? No, no, no, no, no. Let me start again. Just take a big bite. One big bite. Let me start again, Rob. One. Two. Don't shake. I'm trying not to. Here we go. Now you got me shaking, dude. There's P1s that are showing up. Taylin's outside. Are you ready? One. Two.
And do I say three and then go? Yeah, where does he go? One, two, three, and then he bites. Three and then go. So we say one, two, three, and then he does it. Okay, now we got that clear. Got it. One, two, three, and then I go. One. Oh, he's already spitting. He doesn't even put it in his mouth because his mouth is filling up with saliva. Here we go. One. I can't. Two. Three. He's chewing. He's chewing. He's chewing. What's that face? Talk to me, Rob. He's shaking. Look at his hand shaking. Look at his hand shaking. It almost came up. Uh-oh, there was a gag. Talk to me. Oh, God.
Oh, no. Hey, Henry, you want a leg? Okay, you got this, Rob. Are you a seagull? Oh, my God. Think of the ocean. Oh, my God, he's doing it. Yeah, pretend you're gutting a salmon, bro. He's doing it. You're gutting a salmon. Come on. Get it? He's doing it. That almost made him go. Think about how sexy that is. Pretend it's prom night. Yeah. Okay, Rob. Eddie. Eddie. Eddie. Eddie. Sean, I can't believe you said that. Look at him shaking. Look at him shaking. Come on, dude. You got this. Yeah, you're almost there. Oh. Oh, yeah. Rob, protect. He's trying to get it down. Oh, it almost came up. Swamp it. Oh, no. It's coming up. It's coming up. Rob, you got to hold it down. It'll taste worse coming up, Rob. Stop it. Just get it down. Just pretend it's a hot summer day and that's been sitting in a dirty ashtray. Why are you trying to make it happen? No, no, no. I meant it in a good way. Mikey. Don't read into it. Yeah, don't read into what I'm saying. Don't analyze what I'm saying. It'll make yourself crazy. Pretend it's a rotten hot dog. Rob looks like he's going to faint. He looks like he's going to pass out. Oh, look at him. He's got his head back. He's like a Zen. He's going to start rolling back. Help him. Help him. Oh, dude.
You show us what's in your mouth. Swallow it. You swallow it. You swallow it. Come on. You chew with your mouth open. You're a monster. You're better than that sea cucumber. He's not better than that sea cucumber. He is. He is. Oh, oh, oh, gosh. It's coming up. Oh, hello. Ew. Oh, my gosh, Rob. I can't. I can't handle this. He's, like, having a seizure out there. Rob, handle your cucumber. Okay, Rob, get it down. Looks like he's having an orgasm. It's okay. I think he's having an orgasm. It's okay. It's that good. Look at him shaking. I can't deal with it. Get it down. Swallow it. You can get it down. You got this. Chew, chew, chew, Rob. I hope it doesn't move around in your stomach. Uh-oh. He's chewing. He's chewing. Rob, how does this rate amongst the stuff you've eaten so far? You know when your hands get all pruning and you go to the ocean and you've been in there too long? Yep. That's why I imagine, like, your hands tasting like this. Oh. What? How does it rate amongst durian, thousand-year egg, all that stuff? This is the worst consistency ever. The taste isn't horrible, but each time you bite into it, it's... Each time, you've only bitten into it once. Yes!
Oh, don't stop it. Get out of here. I was on my way to work and I got the biggest smile on my face to hear you in the game. 105.3. Time has come for a wireless revelation. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. It needs to be a light ride out there. I think a lot of people are taking off for the Christmas holidays. A lot of kids are out of school, but it makes for a very light commute here on this Thursday morning. A little slowing on the southbound 15. That's the busiest one out of the North County, Enseas Boulevard, down toward the track. Over on the 15, just a little hiccup there past Ted Williams Parkway, and you're good to go. 8 is great all the way in the Mission Valley. No problems there. Same with the 94. That's cleaned up nicely all the way into downtown. I'm Jeff Daly with traffic on Rock 105.3. Well, if you're looking for a nice gift, like for maybe somebody that just ate sea cucumber, maybe go ProFlowers. Yeah, Mike. Wow, that was tough. Okay, well, Christmas is like five days away, people. And the people over at ProFlowers, they want to hook up P1s. And for this week only, at ProFlowers.com, you can choose between two really awesome holiday offers. Now, you can choose either a dozen red and white. Candy cane roses. It's red and white roses. Make it look like a candy cane. It's really cool for just $29.99 or two dozen for just $10 more. That's two dozen red and white roses.
Beautiful roses just for $10 more than $29.99. So I'm guessing $39.99. Oh, wow. Sounds good. I'm not great at math, but I think I can figure that out. Carry the $17. Yeah, right. With that, you get free chocolate truffles and a free glass vase. It all comes in this really easy to manage box. You take them out, you put them together, and it's like, bam. Right. And what I love about Pro Flowers is this time of year and like Valentine's Day, flower shops are always jacking up their prices. So true. Pro Flowers goes the opposite way. They go, you know what? We're going to offer you a deal this time of year. That is correct. That's cool. Yeah, so if you want the flowers, the truffles, the vase, all that stuff before it's too late, go to proflowers.com. Click on the little radio microphone that's located in the upper right-hand corner. And then when you click on that microphone, just type in the password. And the password is Eddie, E-D-D-I-E. That's me. And then you're going to get hooked up with that special deal. Plus, browse around the site. Take a look. They've got all kinds of great stuff. So, again, proflowers.com. Click on the radio microphone. Type in the password, which is Eddie, and you'll get hooked up. Or you can call them at 1-800-PRO-FLOWERS. Back to the Mikey show featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I just want my sandwich. I like I want my sandwich. Sky. I enjoy presents. What can I say? Sean. I'm very fast. Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It is 834. Jamie Lynn Spears' aunt says that Jamie may have planned her pregnancy to get out from under Britney's shadow. T.O.'s at it again. He says that the Dallas Cowboy team are not fans of Jessica Simpson, Yoko. I wonder how Romo feels about somebody saying that about his girlfriend. Dude, you know what? What really sucks is that last year when T.O. was going through all his garbage, the one guy that really supported him, Tony Romo. So it's like, hey, thanks for getting my back, T.O. Right. You know? T.O. is something else, man. Subject to sea cucumber.
Oh, no. It says, did you guys prepare the sea cucumber at all or just give it to them whole, uncooked, unseasoned? It was uncooked and unseasoned. It says, the whole one would be pretty nasty. Wow. I guess we messed up. Yeah, we feel pretty bad. Our bad. It says, I've had them in restaurants most of my life and usually have no idea what the dish is. Almost doesn't taste like an animal, but more like a bland vegetable. Yeah, that is unless you eat it like he did. And then it tastes worse than that. I would think so. Then I guess you could just only describe it as worse than that. Yeah, that's too bad. So, everybody up to speed on these people that were lost out in the wilderness in the snow. There's a father taking his father. Parents are divorced. Father gets a little custody time. Decides to take the kids out to cut down a Christmas tree. And they're missing for three days in the snow.
Call it a Christmas miracle. Christmas miracle. As relieved family members look on, a father and his three children found alive, now hurriedly enveloped by well-wishers carrying heavy blankets, within three days after the father and the kids disappeared in the freezing Northern California woods. That's my grandson, old Joshua. Next is my granddaughter. It's pretty amazing in these days of CNN and news and everything. You get to see it happening. You get to see the rescue happening, like... As it happens. As it happens. So you're seeing people's natural emotions and reactions. They're seeing people that they thought could have been dead, their loved ones. Imagine your family was missing for three days, and you're getting to see them again. Right. And now what they're showing is the inside of the house when they're actually being reunited. Days, the children's mother, Lisa Sams, agonized before she got the word. They found what? The ultimate gift. Four kids? Four.
hearing it happen live. That's when it actually happened. Can you imagine, man? They're all just hugging each other and they're falling to their knees, crying and just so happy that they're alive. One day, her ex-husband, 38-year-old Frederick Dominguez, and their kids, Christopher, Alexis, and Joshua, 18, 15, and 12, trekked into the mountains to cut down their Christmas tree when they got lost in the blinding snow. When your kids are there, maybe you want to just hire or whatever or give up. You know what? You cannot. They cannot see you get like that. They cannot. For days, rescuers searched for them in the heavy snow. In some spots, the wind-blown snow drifts as deep as seven feet. Wednesday, with temperatures dropping and another storm bearing down on the area, an aerial search team finally spotted them. As we turned, we were able to see the father waving. and then on the ground they had a little sign that they made out of twigs that said help. So we knew that was probably the people we were looking for. They'd been found alive and were well enough to go home late Wednesday night. No tree, but with a Christmas story hard to top. At first I was thinking the worst. I had no idea what I was going to do, and then I just kept praying.
My dad was with great support. My brother was with great support. We just saw him in there. It was just like, we're going to get out of here. There's no way we can't get out of here. Even if it's next week, we're going to get out of here. Can you imagine being in that situation? You don't know? Like, you really don't know if you're going to make it out of there? The father took these pictures of the Christmas tree outing, which soon became an ordeal. They survived one night in a makeshift shelter, the others in a drainage pipe. Wow, he took pictures from this situation. Along a creek. And you just see, it looks so awful. They've got their arms inside their jackets, inside their shirts, trying to keep warm. And you can see them inside this big, giant picture, a big, gigantic, almost a room-sized drainage pipe. Rodriguez even cut his sweatshirt into shreds to keep his children's feet warm. In the end, they were found a mile and a half from their abandoned truck. Again, call it a Christmas miracle. For today, Michael Oku, NBC News, Los Angeles. Officers Dave White and Steve Ward rescued the family, and Wendy Wilson is the aunt of the Dominguez children and their mom's sister. Good morning to all of you. Good morning, Meredith. Oh, good, the delay is working. It's always good when you're talking. Good morning to all of you. Good morning to you. Oh, wow, I said it like 20 minutes ago. Yeah, sorry about that. I heard you a little bit later.
Apparently we have a little bit of a delay problem. What did you say? You said a delay, yes. Yeah, I think there's a delay. Hold on. We're trying to work this out right now. Did you say hold on? Oh, no, I was speaking to our technical crew. Okay, you're out of the crew. I'm sorry about that. Sorry about that. Wendy, I want to start with you because I assume that your niece and your nephews and their dad are sound asleep in nice warm beds as we speak. But you did spend some time with them last night. And given everything they went... Actually, no, they're partying. They were really happy. They actually went back for the tree. When I left the house this morning, they were all smoking marijuana. Surprisingly, they are doing amazing. They're all in great spirits. Alexis and Josh had a little frostbite on their toes, but they got them warmed up, and they're resting their legs. They walked so much, they just need a little rest and some food, and they're all great. Did you guys know that when you get in a frostbite situation like that, they have to warm you up super slow? Oh, yeah.
Because if they warm you up right away, it's so painful. It's really painful if they warm you up quickly. And frostbite never really heals. That's what I heard. It kind of goes away, but you'll always have pain when you get cold. Yeah, because it died. Essentially what happened is that part of your body, it died. Wonderful outcome, Wendy. But I know when Lisa found out Monday that her children and her ex-husband were missing, she came to you. And for the next two days, you and other family members and friends... Stood by her as she waited for any word. That had to be a terribly agonizing time for all of you. Actually, no. It wasn't so bad. We went to McDonald's. Hot toddies. Yeah, we had some... Good. Yeah, it was actually... It wasn't so bad. Back to you, Meredith. Oh, you have no idea. It was just the waiting, the not knowing. It was crazy. We just didn't understand how they could have just vanished. There was no sign of them anywhere. It was terrible. And then to get that phone call yesterday, I want to put the video back up as we talk. Describe to me what that was like when you got the word that not only were they found, but they were alive. I don't even know how to describe it. I was just, everybody was so excited. Instant relief. I wasn't there. I went to I Am Legend. It was a matinee. Yeah, it was $7 if we went before 2 in the afternoon. It was really good.
Billy, can you give us your assessment of Will Smith's work? Well, one of his better roles, I feel, is right up there with Pursuit of Happiness. Yes, I was just going to ask you, in Pursuit of Happiness, I know that he worked with his son, and in this film, his daughter, Willow. How do you think he performed with Willow? I think very good, actually. And can you buy into this thought of sort of being in the future and no one being the last man on Earth? Yeah, I really think that it's an interesting storyline and one that really works out. It is awesome. So anyway, I really do believe that they really... I'm sorry, you were saying something about existing? No, I said, how do you feel about it now? I don't understand. I'm having a hard time. I like it now. I think that afterwards I really appreciate the story. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It's 2007. They can't fix that delay. They can't fix the delay. They were happy, Meredith. Just exploding inside, thinking about the fact that they were found, finally. Meredith, what do you want from me? I'm just the ants.
I soiled myself. Are you happy now? Is that sensational enough? You know what? I vomited. I vomited when I found out. All over the mom. And then I lit the whole place on fire and joy. It's a Christmas miracle. And I want to bring in the two gentlemen now who made it happen, really. Dave White and Steve Ward with the California Highway Patrol. First of all, guys... You know, I hear that when that kind of thing happens, you stay in contact with those guys the rest of your life. Yeah. Usually, like, yeah, and they want to know you. Wow. Usually when people, I've heard so many stories of people, when they're rescued, they stay in contact, and it's both parties that want to. Right. The helicopter pilots and the people being rescued, they... They form a bond, man. Well, that's why we can't get rid of Rob. It's true. I mean, we basically saved him from his transient lifestyle. The ravages of Boston. Amazing, amazing story. I know that you were, Steve, you're the pilot. You were the pilot of the chopper. And I know that you were working against time and the elements Wednesday when you went up because you didn't have a big window of opportunity. Another storm was heading in. In fact, you were on your way down when you spotted something. Can you pick up the story from there?
Yeah, we were being forced out. The weather was pushing us out the canyon. So we were slowly working our way out. And we were on our last pass. And as we were working our way out, I looked through the chin bubble and saw Mr. Dominguez crawling out of the culvert, waving his arms. And it's just pure luck that we saw him down there through the tree line. And we made a couple of... If they hadn't seen him, that would have been it. Yeah. That was it. That was the last one they were doing. That's so crazy. They were going to be done after that. Oh, my gosh. And then we saw the help inscribed in the snow by some twigs, and we knew we found the party. And when you got down there, I know, Steve, that you stayed in the chopper. Dave, you got out. You were a paramedic by training. Actually, I'm not a paramedic, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. How did the family greet you? It was amazing. Mr. Dominguez, when he first came out, we wanted to shut the helicopter down, so we didn't want him walking up to the helicopter with it running. So once the blades were stopped, the rest of the family came out, and they ran up, and there was hugs, there was tears. It was just a joyful time for everybody. What did you do next? I yelled at him for a half an hour. The dangers of helicopter safety. And, you know, we do this a lot of times in rescue situations where we left him there to teach him a lesson. And, you know, the point is you make them think you're leaving.
And it really shocks them into never doing it again. But then we came back and we said, just kidding. And then we took them back to get some cocoa. How were they able to survive? I'm very impressed by the dad and what he was able to do over the past two days. Do you feel the same? Not at all. Meredith, not at all. A little underwhelmed. Yeah, a little underwhelmed. And back to you. Oh, absolutely. With the weather, how harsh it was up there, the deep snow... They did the right things. If they wouldn't have gotten out of the weather, it could have been probably a grim outcome. Well, I was just going to ask you, had you not found them yesterday, and again, the weather was working against you. As you said, that was the last pass you were making. How long could they have survived, do you think? You know, it's hard to say. They were in a culvert. They didn't have much time left. It just worked out good. Steve, I know that you have been... Well, that's sad. They're lucky, man. Yeah, big time. They're really lucky. When we come back, we've got a little Gary Hoey action going on. Eddie's going to be making his picks against the Charger girls. We've got a great rest of the show left for you. Don't go anywhere. It's the Mikey Show. We'll be right back. Mike was here. The Mikey Show continues. Mike is a 5'3". Hey. Hi. You going to Doug and Mary's holiday party tonight? Oh, yeah. Hey, what are you bringing? I don't know.

Well, I think it's about that time. You know, next week the Mikey Show is going to be off. And so I think it's about time that we do for this week and see what is going on with a little pick-em. It's time for picks. It's time for Eddie's picks. The Oracle up against the Charger girls. Pick a win. Or maybe pick a win. The versus the Chargers girls on the Mikey Show. every week at this time. Eddie does his picks with the Charger girls and he is going to be going up against Chantel and Shelby today. Oh. Look at this. Chantel, I have something good to report to you. I'm ready. I got to see you on TV for the first time. You enjoyed it. I know. Do you tape the games? You don't? But we get a copy of the games and we get back to the practice on Wednesday. Did you happen to see this last weekend's game? I did not.
There you were going into commercial. That was just you for a good like 10 seconds. That's how she has it in her contract. Amazing. Solo. It was pretty cool. And so I paused it and I go, hey. I know her. That's Chantel. What? Awesome. I know that girl. What up, what up? Yeah. And I was at the game too. I was going to ask you about that. So what did you think? Well, we stayed until halftime because my aunt was back at our house from out of town. So we had to get back. Okay. So we go home. and the game is on, and right when we got home, we got to see you when we got home. But it was fun being at the game and everything. We have a really good time. My dad is like a little kid, and so he likes the snacks more than the game. And you guys got to go down on the field? Yeah, yeah. We got to go down on the field before the game started, which was really amazing, being down on the field. I don't know how you guys go down there and don't trip out still every single time you go down there, because it was so... impressive to us being on that field. I can't imagine what it's like when you guys get to be there every single time. Amazing. Yeah, and Chantel's a pretty good dancer, it turns out. Pretty good? Come on. She's real good. There you go, there you go. Drop a leg, it's hot. That's right.
She brought Shelby with her. How are you, Shelby? I'm good. Do you like football? I love football. I'm a huge football fan. You're a fan of the game now. Yeah, that's why I became a cheerleader. There you go. There you go. So, all right. It's time to do these picks. And off the air, you guys are going to do picks for next week. Yes. But how did we do this last week? What about Miami? What about Miami? You know, I've got to give Chantel and the Charger Girls credit for calling. The upset and Miami winning their first game of the season. What an amazing job that the Charger girls did. That's crazy. Oh, but I still won the week. Oh, no. Oh, no. So, Eddie went 10-6. The Charger girls went 9-7. Sorry about that, girls. It just seems like I can't lose. Well, let me tell you something. It is a... It's a marathon, not a sprint, because what they're doing is they're accumulating their wins throughout the entire season, and there's not much left. I got a nice seven-game cushion right now going into the final couple weeks, so I'm feeling pretty confident. What do you think, Chantel? Are you going to be able to do it in these last couple of weeks? You see me stretching out. I'm ready to take him. That number up. You're going to need it. Now, how about you, Shelby? Are you good at calling games? Are you pretty good at predicting who's going to win and who's going to lose?
I've been pretty good in the past, I guess. We'll see this week. Chantel, did you say last week that you guys always start at the same end of the field? Shelby, I know that Chantel starts on the home side by the scoreboard. Yes. I remembered. I was there. I was looking for you. I was even telling my dad. I said, hey, dad, look over there. Look over there by the scoreboard. Girl in the middle. That's Chantel. We know her. See that girl? I know that person, Dad. I know her. She's a personal friend of mine, Dad. That girl right there. That famous girl. That famous girl. See? Was he impressed? Yeah. He said, my dad, really? You really do? Yeah, I know her. Shelby, where do you start? I start out on the visitor side on the tunnel end zone, so completely opposite. Okay, I got it. I got it. I got where you are. Okay, so I'm going to watch over there. If you guys want to see Shelby and Chantel, that's where they are. And then each quarter they move around, they rotate, and at one point or another they'll be every side of the stadium. Yes. What do you guys do as soon as the game's over? Eat. Do you really? Yeah. Do you guys all get to eat together? Negative. You just go get food whenever you can. Oh, okay. No plan. Just go. So wait a minute. Game ends and you guys drive out to go get food?
No, we have food there. Okay. Do they cater it for you? They do. That's pretty nice of them. It's very nice. So you just grab it whenever you can? Yes. I got a question. I don't know how honest you guys are going to be. Come on. I really want to know. I'm ready. Is there charger girl clicks? Do girls stick together and the same girls always be hanging out? Yes, only because there's four lines, and you get closest to the girls who are in your line. Not because I don't like Shelby, because I do, but she's not in my line, so maybe we don't hang out as much as someone else in my line. Is that how it works? They call the area where, like I said, Chantel is on the home side by the scoreboard, so those girls that are over there, that's called a line. Yes. Okay, so afterwards, the line hangs out together. Is that how it works? They usually hang out together. Actually, after the game, we all hang out together. Mostly, we plan a place where we're all going to eat, and it just goes around, and whoever can come goes, and if you can't, maybe next time. Well, see, now that's where I'm confused. Is there like a big cafeteria? No, like we'll eat right after the game for the stuff that's catered for us, but then we'll be like, okay, we're going to sit down. But where does that take place at? Where does that happen? There's a little kitchen in our dressing room. Oh, really? Yes.
I had no idea. Dressing room? This is big time, yo. Wow. Wait a second. Hang on. I'm learning stuff. Wait a minute. So, wait a minute. You guys have like a dressing room back there? Yes. Okay. And it's like one big gigantic dressing room for all the Charger girls. Yes. And there's like a little kitchen area off of that. Yes. Okay. So, after the game, all four lines of girls are all in this kitchen. Or no? No, only if you're hungry. They're all mingling around the locker room area. Getting ready to go. We have to dress in business couches. Pillow fights, that kind of stuff. We have to change and things like that. I don't think pillow fights are going. No, none of that's happening. No. Too tired for that. Dang it. So, do you guys get changed? Is that what you said? Yes. Is it like the players? Do you guys shower up before you leave? Or is that you guys don't do that? No, we have a shower as well. In detail? Yes. Eddie. What is the problem? Now, and it's very, I'm guessing. I'm guessing it's very, is it very private? Is it a very private thing? All the guys shower together. So do we. You do? Yeah. I mean, there's just a big shower. Not we as we shower together. I'm just saying. In all honesty, I did not think they would have you guys do that. Honestly. Yeah, there's just a big shower. Sky is so mad at you right now. You know why, Sky? Come over. Go to Gary's mic. Go to Gary's mic. Honestly. Why? Because guys are rough.
And they, you know, that's kind of their deal. They shower together and it's just kind of a, they're rough, you know, and that's like what we, but women, honestly, I would think that women would kind of want more privacy and there would be like individual showers. See, I think opposite, you know, because girls, we're more cool with like our sexuality. So we don't mind being naked around each other where dudes are like, oh, I'm gay if I'm naked near another guy. Well, I don't know. Maybe it's an athlete thing. I've always just known. athletes that that's the way that it goes down i had no idea that that models they have to get changed really quick and do a lot of stuff it's kind of like that okay okay okay so then so then i'm trying to understand how so then afterwards you guys put on what kind what do you guys wear afterwards business casual so heels and black slacks and a button-up No one would even know at that point that you guys are Charger girls. No, they know. They definitely are lining up outside. We have those big, rolly suitcases that we have to walk out with, so everybody pretty much knows. They know that you're... Plus, you guys look the way you do. Yes. Plus, they're pretty... A bunch of hot chicks rolling out. Super smoking. Well, here's the deal. Let me ask you. Shelby, on game day, do you do the big, gigantic curls in your blonde hair?
No, my Charger Girl look is that I have straight hair, so I don't have to go through all that. Because there are some of these Charger Girls that I notice, and it's gorgeous. Some of the blondies, they'll do the big, giant, like, hot roller curls, you know? Yes. But not all of them. Now, when you say you're a straight-haired Charger Girl and that's your thing, what do you mean? Like, in other words, your guy's boss, I don't know who your guy's boss is called, but it's a lady, is your guy's boss. Your director. So does she say... I like you having straight hair. You're going to have straight hair. Yes. What about you? Wow. What does she say? What is your thing? Straight. Straight. Yes. All right. So everybody, everybody has their own thing. Yes. Okay. So how does that get worked out? Her eye, she just goes, I think you look better like that. Yes, sometimes you'll be like, well, I like my hair curly. She'll be like, okay, try it out, wear it to practice, and then we'll see how it looks. Whatever she thinks looks best is what you'll have. And some people have to dye their hair, some red, some brown. It just depends. For real? For real? Dude, so is she tough? That's crazy! Is she tough? Tough but fair. Yeah? Yeah, she wants us to look our best. Wow. So there's some girls that have...
straight hair in their normal life. Yes. But she says, on game day, you're a curly. Yes, exactly. That's pretty interesting stuff. Okay, so then you leave, where do you go? To eat, or to bed. No, no, no, no. I'm tired, what do you mean? Well, I thought you said that you already ate, then you take a shower, put on the street clothes, and when you leave there, you're done, you can go home. It's like a snack, though, when you get back in. It's like leftover pasta that somebody didn't finish eating, so we'll eat a little bit, and then we'll actually have a big, great dinner. Together or at home? Where's the big great dinner? It depends. We change every week. Okay, so you guys decide a location that you're going to go. It sounds like none of you girls eat that garbage that they have in there. The cookies are great. The cookies. You eat the cookies. But the other stuff goes untouched, doesn't it? No, we have like wraps and pasta. You guys aren't eating that. I know girls. This is you guys. What? You guys go, we're going to go eat at such and such. I don't want to eat those. turkey and a tortilla. I don't want to eat the cold turkey and a tortilla. I don't think they eat all day long. So they need something to get in them. Because they need to look good in their outfits. We're out on the field. We don't really get a chance to eat. So maybe you take a bite. I eat a lot of fruit before I go. And then you guys go have a nice dinner. Yes. Is that required? No. But you guys want to? Yes. See, I thought maybe for cromps.
For Cromartie. Well said. I thought maybe for camaraderie's sake, they would say, listen, we're going to do a dinner, all of us together. You kids better be there. I thought maybe they did, but it's up to you guys. We do throughout the season for Unity. We have a Unity group, so we try. So when you guys, when a bunch of beautiful women in their 20s walk into a restaurant, does everybody go, the Charger girls are here? Yes. They know, right? Yes. Do they come up to you and ask you for autographs and pictures and stuff like that? Yes. That's pretty cool. And you guys are in street clothes by that time, right? Yes. So you guys do that, and then you get to go home? What time is it by the time you get home? Wow. At least it takes us another hour to get out of the locker room. Because sometimes we eat, sit down, and rest for a little bit. And I'm talking about at the end of if you guys decided, hey, let's go have dinner at such and such a place. I'm talking about after you guys go have your nice dinner, what time are you getting home? What time is it? 8.30, 9 maybe? Yeah, I'd say about 9. That's a long day. And you guys start at 7 in the morning, right? Yes. Actually before then. On game day, what time you get up? I get up at about 5.30. 5.30?
We have to get kind of ready before we get to the stadium. What does that mean? Oh, you've got to get done up. Yes. We can't come to the stadium looking like we just woke up. Not acceptable. Do they do you guys up or do you have to do yourselves up? We do, although later in the day we do have hairstylists and makeup artists. Yeah, okay, so straight-haired girl that becomes curly on Sunday, she gets it done. She doesn't do it herself. It depends. It depends on how she feels about it. If she thinks she can do it, you know, or if she doesn't have enough time, then she might have to do it if she has a promo early in the morning. A whole other world for you guys. You guys have like a whole life thing that this is. 5.30 in the morning. Yes. You get down to the stadium at what time? About 7.30. What are you wearing at that point? The business casual? No, we come in our sweats or whatever is on our promo sheet. And a little suitcase. Yes. It's so funny. Check this out. A lot of times, you'd be at the game, and you see these cute Charger girls wheeling around. It looks like they're going to gate four. No, it really does. It does. They got their little suitcase, and they wheel them in there. I bet it's not a little suitcase. It's huge. I could fit in there. What do you got in there? What do you got in your suitcase? Wow. Makeup, straightener, boots, four-pair nylons, business casual, palms.
Calendars. Everything you can think of is in there. I bring my house. And, by the way, every NFL dancer, they don't get, you guys don't get paid, right? We do get paid. You do get paid. You don't travel. That's the rule. We don't travel. You don't travel. And you can't date players. Negative. Strictly prohibited. Yes. What if one of the players is a really sweet guy and he really is nice and he really likes you and he has a crush on you? Too bad. No? No, negative. Other fish in the sea? Lots. Plenty. Who do you think is the cutest player? Charger, yeah. Chantel. Who's the cutest player? I don't know. Chantel's got this look like... Don't play like that. Don't be coy. I can tell you my favorite player. No, that's not the question. We want to know who's cute. Hey. Don't buzz me. That means Antonio Cromartie. That look. Okay. Okay, it meant Mike Goff. I'll go with it. First I saw Antonio Cromartie, then I saw Mike Goff. Now I see Phillip Rivers. Now I see LT. Now I see. She's got a smile. Shelby, who's the cutest charger? I have to say they're all equally. No, don't. I like that. Come on. You can say Louis Steele. It's cool. Do they not let you guys say if someone's cute? Is that a rule? You could say that. It's not a rule. But you're not supposed to go there. Whatever. I want to know what Chantel thinks is cute.
He'll tell us off the air. So I can start doing my hair that way. I like you just the way you are. Well, thank you, Chantel. Thank you, Chantel. You're welcome. All right. This is the longest interview I've ever done with a Charger girl. You like it. But it was the most interesting. I learned more today than I have in the whole year we've been doing this. I learned a lot today. Good. All right. Are you ready? I've been ready. Stalled long enough. Don't even. Yeah. Yeah, okay. We'll go back to outside. Nah, nah. Nah, nah, nah. We had like the scene from Beat It, the Beat It video outside where we were squaring up against each other. Dancing? Yeah. Who won? Who do you think? Eddie. Duh. Well, you said duh. I mean, I figured. Eddie, right? Oh, no, no. I mean, Chantel. Chantel, you won, right? Oh, come on. I'll let you say it. I'll let you say it. Come on, he's a good dancer. Yeah, we'll test that out. All right, here we go. Starts tonight, guys. Yep. Yes. Charger girls. Pittsburgh at St. Louis. Pittsburgh. Eddie? Yeah, easy Pittsburgh. All right, Eddie. Dallas at Carolina on Saturday night. Another easy one. Got to go with Dallas. I know the Charger girls think the same thing. You know it. All right, Charger girls. Now we're on Sunday. The Giants at Buffalo. Okay, this could be a toss-up. I agree. But I'm going to go ahead and go with Buffalo. Because they're the homer. Eddie? Bring it. I'm taking the Giants. Shut the front door. You know it. You know it.
That's going to be a game. Oh, it is. I love the disagreements. Charger Girls, Green Bay at Chicago. Well, Green Bay, definitely. Eddie? Yeah, Green Bay. All right. Eddie, Cleveland at Cincinnati. Bring it on. Okay, this... I can feel... Ooh, you okay? I'm having trouble with this game. I feel it. I'm having trouble with this game. I smell an upset. Who would the upset be? I can't even figure out who the upset is. Well, Cleveland is a playoff game right now. And Cincinnati is terrible. Okay. So the upset would be Cincinnati. Yeah. But I will take Cleveland. Exactly. Well done. Charger girls. Kansas City at Detroit. Kansas City. Eddie. Why do you like Kansas City so much? You love them. You picked them last week and they've lost. Are you from Kansas City? No. Do you have a boyfriend that's from Missouri? I don't have one of those. She won't even say who she thinks is cute. She doesn't have a boyfriend. She won't say who she thinks is cute.
Shelby, don't let her do this. She's ruining your picks. I'm not getting her way. All right, I'm picking Detroit. Are you married to a movie star and we don't know it or something? No. All right. We disagree. I'm picking Detroit. Really? Yeah. What? Well, yeah. Okay. Of course. Okay. Shelby, do you feel the same way about this? Are you going with, I mean, are you, if you're siding with Chantel, you agree that it's going to be Kansas City? Oh, yeah, definitely. Just stick together. Definitely. Charger Girls Houston at Indianapolis. Colts. Eddie. Indy. Eddie. Oakland at Jacksonville. I will take Jacksonville. Charger Girls. Definitely Jacksonville. Charger Girls Philly at New Orleans. Okay. I think this one could be a toss-up, too. And then the Saints are playing. They haven't been playing that good at home. Okay, so I'm going to go with Philly. Eddie. I'm so happy you did that. I'm taking Drew Brees and the Saints, baby. Okay. Making a little playoff push. It is on. Don't get going. Wait, wait. Eddie, you're taking the Saints, right? Yes. I don't know about that one, Charger Girls. But I'm unbiased. I'm unbiased. Charger Girls, Atlanta at Arizona. Arizona. Eddie? Arizona. Eddie, Tampa Bay at San Francisco. Well, even though my 49ers are coming off a big win, I am going to take Jeff Garcia as he returns.
To beat his old team. Charger girls? Tampa Bay. Charger girls, I have a question for you. What? Ready. I'm in my fantasy football Super Bowl this weekend. Okay. And I can either start Tony Romo with that messed up thumb, who's usually great. He's usually great. Don't even ask this question. Or the guy that I went to high school with, the pride of Gilroy High, Jeff Garcia, Tampa Bay, going to San Francisco. Against a defense that's given up some touchdowns. It's a big place. Gets the wide receivers. And that Tony Romo's thumb is messed up. I know. Take Tony. Come on. Thank you. Come on. All right, Jeff Garcia it is. Wow. Eddie, you said Tampa? Yeah, I'm taking Tampa. And the girls are too. Yes. Charger girls. Miami at New England. You're going to do the upset again? Negative on this one. Stop it. Stop it. I'm positive.
Eddie? That's right. Eddie, Baltimore at Seattle? I've got to take Seattle on that one. Charger girls? Seattle. Charger girls. Jets at Tennessee? Tennessee. Eddie? Yep, V-Y in Tennessee. Eddie, Washington at Minnesota? Ooh. Yes, exactly. Weird game. Exactly. Don't know what to expect, but I'll take Minnesota at home. Charger girls? Me too. Us too. You know. And I guess both sides, you guys want Denver, right? Not funny. No. So both take San Diego. Yep. At home. Yep. All right. Three disagreements, you guys. It happens from time to time. Eddie took the Giants. The Charger girls took Buffalo. Mm-hmm. Eddie took Detroit at home. The Charger girls took Kansas City on the road. Mm-hmm. Eddie took New Orleans at home. The Charger girls took Philly on the road. I did. You guys are... We like to take risks over here. Sometimes we just gotta... You need to at this point. I guess so. I'm just saying. I guess so. You're lucky you're on the other side over there because if I had reach... That's right. We're hoping he'll slip

Brittany wants to have her kids drug tested to try and prove that K-Fed smokes pot. Maybe Reggie Bush isn't done. He practiced, but they're not sure if he's going to play yet. Welcome back to the show. Last night, our friend Gary Hoey played. to a packed house in solana beach right how'd it go man it was an awesome show i mean i'll tell you we were we were blown away i mean there was over 500 people at the club last night and uh we just had a an incredible time i mean the crowd was unbelievable we hadn't played there the belly up i actually recorded my live album in uh 1997 at the belly up and i hadn't been back there in probably over 12 years i
Are you serious? Yeah, had not played the club. And the funny thing is, I hadn't been there since they renovated it. Now there's like a big stage. And when I played there, it was a small stage, real low to the ground, very intimate. And I walk in, I'm like, wow, this isn't even the same place. But a great venue. I mean, they treated us great. And the crowd was... I was excited, man. That's cool. The place just went off. And I've got to thank you guys so much for getting the word out about the show, letting everybody know that we were back in town, and I appreciate it. Well, Gary, we love to have you in, man. When you're able to, we love to have you in. And one of the reasons we do is because of your Christmas stuff. Thanks. Your Christmas stuff is great, man. Thanks, man. Can people buy it? If they go to your website or Amazon or whatever, can they get a hold of it? Yes, absolutely. Amazon.com right now is probably the best bet because we're ready to shut down like you guys are for the holidays. So the website is garyhoey.com. We are giving away a Fender guitar on Christmas Day. Cool. Okay, so what are you going to play today? Eddie and I were talking about, we were thinking Santa Claus coming to town. Does that sound good? Yes! Let's do it. Whatever you guys, but whenever Gary's playing, I don't want it to end. I hate it when I feel like the song's starting to close up because it's so much fun to watch and it's so much fun to listen to and it just sounds so good. I'm like, oh man, let's do the extended version. All right, and I feel all weird because I'm staring at his fingers, but I don't want to creep him out because I'm like... staring at us. When you stare at me. I love it. So, Gary, how long have you been playing guitar, man? I've been playing about 33 years, man. You make it look so easy. It's crazy. 33 years. That's crazy. Do you find that you, at this point, do you still learn anything new?
Or have you gotten to where you're going to be and now it's just a matter of maintenance? You know, I mean, I think you always kind of learn. You always learn. You never stop learning. And that's what keeps me excited about music. But I used to practice 8, 10 hours a day. I mean, from the time I was 17, you know, for probably 10, 15 years. And, you know, I got to the point where I could... I guess express myself on the instrument and learn, you know, think what I could think in my head, I could kind of play. And, you know, learning the guitar, it's just like the more you understand about it, the easier it is. But what I focus on now is, you know, more like creating better songs and production and, you know, trying to work on my career, trying to answer emails to the fans and, you know, play with my kids a little while. So, you know, it's dividing everything up between all the stuff that I'm doing. But I'll tell, you know, guitar players out there, when you're young, man, practice hard when you're young because you have more time. to spend on it. You know, really, woodshed when you're young, because when you get older, you don't have as much time to put into it. What about music that you like? Like, do you listen to much of the radio, or do you listen to...
Do you listen to any stuff or are you kind of a guy that outside you play so much that you kind of want to chill out and don't listen to music very much? You know, I'm actually a real fan of music. I love music. I listen to everything from blues, jazz, heavy metal, Disturbed. I mean, everything all across the board. And I'm also a record producer. I love to produce music and get bands, young bands in the studio. So I always get my ear to what's going on and listening. I always create music from the standpoint of a fan. And that's how I treat my fans. I come out after the show every night, sign autographs, meet everybody like you guys do. And when I was a fan, going to see shows, I would kill to just meet the band. I'd be the guy in the back door. They'd be running out. I remember going to an Aussie show, and I'm in the back, and they're going to the limo, and I'm sticking my finger through the chain link fence. And I go, Aussie, touch my finger. And it probably wasn't a good thing to say, because he didn't. Right. No, he did. He wouldn't pull my finger, man. So, Gary, can we get you to do one more before you split? I'd love to, man. Yes. Well, one that I think would be kind of cool is, you know, we've been doing... Rob came up with the Carol of the Hams. Yeah. And so we've been... I don't know if you've heard this. I'll give you just one second of it. But he came up with this. Let me play this for you. Ham, ham, ham, ham, ham, ham, ham, ham.
Yeah, Gary, one time I said I like ham, and then this one has snowballed. I thought maybe we could have you do Carol of the Bells because we've been so into Carol of the Hams. I like ham. So maybe we could hear you do Carol of the Bells. I like ham. Here we go. Awesome. When you're watching his hands move, I'm thinking to myself, it almost looks like... combination. How do you remember the combination? It looks like he's picking a lock or something, man. I don't know how you do it. I could not do that. It's an amazing thing. Thank you, man. Listen, Gary, we appreciate you coming in, man. Every time you come in here, I remember how great it was the time before. I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's great. Thank you for coming in. Hopefully, people get the album. You can get it on Amazon. This one that
that I was looking at that's got all the, I mean, it's got everything. It's got two discs on it. Yes. It's Gary Hoey, Ho Ho Hoey. It's the complete collection and you can get it by going to Amazon.com. It really is good. Gary, as usual, thank you so much, man. Thank you, guys. Happy holidays, man. Appreciate it. Now, after further review, you know, it looks like both feet were inbounds, and so I hit it. And then I go, well, wait a minute. After further review, taking a look at the play, and the receiver had the ball in both hands with both feet inbounds, and so I say, K-I-O-Z, hit it, San Diego. Oh, my God. Because it was in Nantucket. Right. Idiot. So they got these preliminary plans drawn up for a 200-mile-an-hour train between the Bay Area and Anaheim. What? I'm so in on that. You are? Really? Yeah. So you're, like, really wanting to drive to Anaheim, jump on the train to the Bay Area? Yeah. No, I don't like flying. I don't like the whole flying experience. Why don't you take the train? The 200 mile per hour train that's not built yet? Why don't you just take the train now if you're into it? What train? Amtrak. There's this train. There's a company called Amtrak. But it goes so slow. Really? Yeah. How fast does it go, Skye? It'll be slow. This one's cool, though. I like this.
So it goes 200 miles an hour. Yeah, they say it's going to cost about $30 billion. So right now they're working out the route it would take, but they're proposing that it goes over Pacheco Pass from San Jose over Pacheco Pass and then down to Anaheim. Why wouldn't you just take the chopper? That's a good point. Why wouldn't you take the imaginary? Take a helicopter ride in the... Honky. Honky. He said honky. Right. Okay. My name's Skye. What's happening? Oh, hey. Sean, be cool. Yo, yo, yo, yo. Sean. We're almost to the finish line. Let me know you'll like him. Sean. Sean, be cool. I know you like him. I'm posing nude right now. What did you say? I'm totally nude right now. I'm just so naked. It's just the way it sounds, though. She's not. She's not. It just sounds like that. Well, she's not now. She's not now. Eddie, did you watch the video? Yeah. So weird. So I get home last night and I talked to my wife for a while and it gets late. And so I'm going to go up to bed and she goes, will you watch something first? And I go, no, honey, I'm too tired. I'm going to go to bed. She goes, oh, please watch this. And I go, how long is it really? And she goes, it's a minute. I go, is it really a minute? And she goes, yeah. Which means, no, it's longer than a minute. And I'm going to lie and say it's a minute.
And I go, okay, so I sit down, and it's Ellen. And I don't want to watch Ellen, because Ellen, to me, is, uh... The best? It's like secret... It's garbage. It's like secret antiperspirant for women. Sounds gay. No offense, Sean. Right. You know, guys, I guess, could wear it, but, you know, it's made for women. Like Sean, you mean? Well, Sean wears it. Right. He likes the vanilla-scented one. That's correct. I do. I've heard him say that. I won't hide it. Now, I... It's like a girl's perfume. Guys don't feel comfortable putting it on. It's kind of the way I feel about the Ellen show. So immediately I'm rolling my eyes. But then she shows me this clip. Ellen finds things on YouTube and puts the people that she finds on YouTube on the show. And usually it's funny. But she found this girl and put this girl on the show. And it wasn't a funny thing. It was just real different and interesting. 15-year-old girl from the Philippines. Like, barely speaks any English. Now, you've got to picture this girl. Real tiny, small, little 15-year-old girl from the Philippines. Straight black hair. Dressed real cute, you know. Going to be on television. Long black stockings, long skirt. Very appropriate, you know, like, sweater top. And she's little. She comes on...
does this cut 28 what i kept saying to you during rehearsal is wow okay so it's your first time in the united states and uh what's your impression do you like it yes so much no this is a very great and a nice person nice people and nice buildings the lights you know i like it very much yeah it must be very different from where you're from huh yes well you are amazing i don't want to talk any longer i want you to sing and i i can't wait i have a mic here And I can't wait for people to see you, and I'll be right here. Thank you. Thank you. That's so weird. That is crazy. It's like Mal Tillis. Yeah. It's like Mal Tillis. Or somebody that is an amazing mimic. She watched that and was able to mimic it. Right. Which is amazing, though, in its own right. But you know what was so crazy about it is here's this 15-year-old girl from the Philippines. Imagine if she walked into American Idol audition. Oh, please. Right? She might win the whole thing. I know. Feel it. She might win the whole thing. I would love to see Simon and Dopey and Randy have to critique that, you know? It's druggie. Aye, aye, aye. So anyway, I thought that was interesting. I wanted to play it for you. And my wife goes,
You're welcome. Okay, you got me. I'm glad you showed it to me. Let's see. Senator Hillary Clinton. Cut eight. As First Lady Hillary in disguise would venture out of the White House with her friends. It was the funniest thing in the world where we're standing waiting to cross the street and somebody asked me for directions to the White House and I said, well, I think, remember that? Yeah, I did. My face was priceless. I know. I think if you go down here and maybe take a right, you keep walking, you'll run into it. Funniest thing in the world. You like that? That's Hillary Clinton. Barf. Hysterical. Right? Sean, you liked her husband, but you're not a big fan of her or what? Yeah, I don't care for Hillary, really. Well, they say that the knock against her is that she doesn't have the personality that her husband had. That is for sure. She's a little bit cold. Or the pedigree. Well, you know, it's funny because they were saying the other day that one of the things that's supposed to be Hillary's plus is experience. And I was like, well, how long has she been a senator? Just because you lived in the White House doesn't mean you like... Well, she knows where everything is, guy. That is true. Knows her way around the kitchen. Doesn't have to change much. Right? Knows her way around the kitchen, Rob said. I tried to ignore it. That was a good one, Robbie. Holy Toledo.
Cards and emails to Boston Rob. That's right. Love them all. Padres finally got the missing piece to the World Series puzzle. Thank goodness. Who'd they get? Well, they re-signed their backup catcher, Michael Barrett. They brought back a guy that I think we desperately have been missing, Robert Fick. Oh, good. I was concerned. And Joran Vandersloot, I think is the other guy. No, no, no, no. I'm looking at the name. It's not that guy. Jeff Devannon? Oh. Oh, yeah. Similar. You're really close there. Weird. When is Navy Utah? Tonight. Tonight? Is it on television? Should be, yeah. That's cool. Awesome! And then Reggie Bush. It says he's practicing, but they're not sure if he'll play. I have his backup, so that's going to... I really need to know. The game is on ESPN. Navy Utah, right? Yeah, Navy Utah. And I don't think Reggie Bush is going to play this week, so you don't have to worry about it. You do not believe he'll play? No. Let's see. Ron Paul's a weird guy. Republican candidate. Apparently, he took a donation from a white supremacist, and he's not going to change. He's given it back or anything. He's not going to give it back, and he accepts it.
Yeah, the guy donated $500 to Ron Paul's campaign. And this guy runs a website called Stormfront that has the motto, White Pride Worldwide. So when Ron Paul's spokesman was asked about whether he's going to give the money back, he said no, that Ron's going to take the money and try and spread the message of freedom with it. And also, that's $500 less than this white supremacist has towards his cause. So I guess he's actually doing us all a favor by taking the money. Thanks. Yeah. I got one last list, and then we got to get out of here. Oh, no. A list of the most memorable quotes of 2007. Oh, boy. So I got the top five. He who smelt it, dealt it. No. Take care of your helmet. Don't tase me, bro. That's the number one, Ashley. Don't tase me, bro? Very good. What about ham? I like ham. I like ham. Honeybake. Honeybake? Come get some ham. Tina, come get some ham. What about Palomino? No. That was a famous phrase. What do you think of the name Shiloh? Yeah, that's got to be on there. It's from 2007, you guys. Never had any sugar in my tank. Remember that call? Did that guy make the list? What are you talking about? It's a nice phrase. Okay. Well said. One of these was played many times here on the Mikey Show. I know, we're naming them. What happened? No. I don't know any of this. No. No. Is that on there? That's a good guess. What about well said? Who cares? Anybody? I almost cried. Love your mouth. This is going to be over real quick. Hit. He's here. He's in the house tonight. That's the one. It's not that busy, man. Stop. Eventually, Sean will get to it. You're a dirty girl, Sky. What are you saying? I'm saying, was that one of the most famous phrases of 07? You're a dirty girl, Sky. Everybody. What are you talking about? You don't remember that phrase that got introduced to America and pop culture in February of 07? February. You're a dirty girl, Sky.
It's right around Valentine's Day. I remember. I don't have a problem with articulating. There are just certain words. I have no problem articulating. There are just certain words that are a bit problematic. What about karma? We're both. I got it. Honky. I got it. What is it? We're both right. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's it. It's on t-shirts everywhere. Nice job. There's no way I can even... Damon! Oh, yeah, Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. You want some hints? Yes. Excuse me. One, this person lost their job over saying this. Oh, nappy-headed hoes. Yes, number four, Don Imus. Dom? Dom DeLuise. Well said. That racist Dom DeLuise. I know you'll like him. I love him. Mikey Show, you got a guess? Yeah, I'm not gay, nor have I ever been gay. Oh, that's got to be in there, Sky. Put it on the ball. Is that on there? Well, we're just doing the top five. I am not gay. I never have been gay. But Senator Larry Craig did come in number eight with his quote, I have a wide stance when going to the bathroom. I wish I knew how to quit you. Oh, yeah. Is that on there? Is that from 07? I wish I knew how to quit you. No, it's not.
1842. Is that a phrase? Is that actually a phrase? Ashley, you know number two, and you're going to be mad. Mikey Show. Anything by Chris Hansen. Check it. Check it. Oh, what about Chris, the crying Britney guy? What about South Carolina chick? Yeah. Of course, the South Carolina chick. Yes, number two is Miss South Carolina with her question regarding the U.S., the map. The U.S. America? The U.S. America and the Iran. Such as. Where is it, Ashley? Oh, it should be up there. Oh, I know. Remember I asked you to put it up there last week, I said. Yeah, but I took it off again because we didn't have any room for the other stuff. So I have to rotate it off. Get her, Zeth. Get her, Zeth. Zeth, let her know that she should be doing that. That's her job. Go ahead, Zeth. There's no way that I could when there's no room. Go ahead, Zeth. You should have had that on the wall when Mike asked you to put it on the wall. Oh, no, he didn't. No, he didn't. I told him he had to. He's crazy. Did he have, like, ten gumballs stuffed in his mouth when he just said that to me? I don't get it. I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have bounce. And I believe that our education, like such a...
South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere such as. I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa. It should help the Iraq and the Asian countries. So we will be able to build up our future. Oh, she would have caught it. Yeah, she was really close. She almost had it. The Iraq. What are we missing? How many are we missing? Just two. Number three and number five. Number five. I want to wrestle you so freaking bad. Mikey Show. Mikey Show. All too good to be true, hee hee. Hello? I just hope this isn't all too good to be true, hee hee. Go ahead. You're on the air. Morning, Mikey Show. Hi. Morning, Taylor. Yes, go ahead, Taylor. I want to say the Iranian president for saying they have no homosexuals in Iran. Yes, that is number three. Quote, in Iran, we don't have homosexuals like in your country. Oh, that old hackneyed phrase. We've said that so many times here on the show. Mikey Show. Talk about it. All right. Go ahead. How about, they are who we thought they were. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Choked on applesauce. Oh, yeah. No. Pucker, pucker, pucker. Mikey Show.
Just leave her alone. Leave her alone. Yeah, from Chris Crocker. I thought Chris Crocker would be on there. No, Chris Crocker's not there. He was very pop culture. Yeah. Mikey Show. Is George Takai on the list? Yes. Why don't you check the list? I mean, that doesn't even make sense, sir. What would you have said? I would have said one more drinky-winky, please. That's not a famous quote. That's my frame. famous phrase. Well, you're drunk right now, aren't you? George, we told you not to come on our show drunk. I'm not drunk. I'm buzzed. You don't know your limits, George. The famous Sulu from Star Trek. How about a butterfly kiss? I don't want one. I'm giving phrases. That was not a phrase. Not a famous phrase at all. How about a butterfly kiss? That's not on there? No, it isn't. George Takai. You're more than buzzed. What else about butterfly kisses? Get out of here. Please, we're trying to finish this list. I'm not more than buzzed. You are more than buzzed. I can smell you. I am not. You are in more of it. You reek of appletini. Okay. What about, let me see, want to share my pants? No, get out of here. Okay. That's not a phrase. Not on there? No, not a phrase. George.
Check it. Put it on the board. No, you don't start with that. You can't say that. You could put it on the board. No, you can't say that. You're not part of our club that says that. Yes, I am. Chill town. No, George. Chill town. You got to say, what up, George? Yeah, what up? Oh, that's so bad. I said, hit it. You can't play. You can't play. I said hit it. George, we already did that part of the show. You missed it. Save that clip. Save that clip. There you go. It's K-I-O-Z. Hit it. It's George Takai. Stop it. The famous Sula. So you're just missing number five. Are we going to get it? But you're not going to get it. Kill that. Real fresh? Real fresh. Real fresh. Here, here, here. This is getting worse. Yeah, great. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, great. You've got to keep working on that one. The great's a little lower. Yeah, great. That's creepier. Do a nice little bump. Okay. Yeah, you should probably stop talking now. Oh, no. Probably.
Holy crap. Kiosk. Someone. Let's take some more calls. Mikey Show. What about al-al-al-alligator? That's a good one. Is that on the list now? No. Well, you didn't look. Well, I don't need to look. Why don't you ever look? You never look on the list. You just... Well, no, I mean, it's not. People take a guess, but you don't know. Well, no, it doesn't go on the board. It wasn't right. What about antidepressants? Just the word. No. Just wanted to play that song. Making life more tolerable. Making life more tolerable. That was on last year's list. Dang it. I'm out of guesses. We're out of guesses. You're not going to get it. Chocolate rain is on there, right? No. Ashley's brain. No. Number five is I Don't Recall, which was said a billion times by our former Attorney General, Alberto Gonzalez. You're done. Terrible, Scott. Is that it? Yeah, that was the top five. All right, let's get out of here. 570-1053 is the phone number, and tomorrow we're doing an appearance. Love to see you. We're going to be at 11 to 1.
We're going to be out at the Cricket Wireless, 1490 South 43rd Street. 43rd Street exit just off the 805. And you can put it on the port. Ryan, did you have a good time hanging out here today? Of course I did, Mikey. Ryan's fun, man. He doesn't talk much, but he's... I was going to say. He was a party. No, but he's fun. Gary Hoey thought he looked like somebody, but we don't know who. He says you look like somebody. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Damon. My Damon. Mikey Show. Good morning, Sanjay. Sanjay. There he is. Hi, Sanjay. Hey, I just wanted to call and tell you this for the season, for the holidays. I think I'm going to change my name to P1 Hamjaya. I like it. For the season. Yeah, P1 Hamjaya just for this season. You're going to have to call in and say, good morning, Hamjaya. I like it. It wasn't that funny, Rob. I had not thought of that one. Thank you, Sanjaya. Brilliant. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. T1 Strauss. Hi. It didn't make the top ten, but I think, hi, my name is, in parentheses, your name here, what's happening? Oh, yeah. Duh. It's a good one, number one. Yeah. It's a good one. Sure. Mikey Show, hello. T1 Paparazzi. What's up? It's Paparazzi. Eddie, don't say. What up?
Don't say curse words. What is that? Stop it. Paparazzi, what can we do for you? I have a Christmas present question for you. Go ahead. You were talking earlier about having Christmas presents delivered to your doorstep and you didn't want your wife to view the packaging. If I recall correctly, your wife does all the budgeting and stuff, all the financial stuff. How do you prevent her from seeing the bills that come in for, say you buy her a diamond necklace for a grand? She's going to kind of notice there's a $1,000 discrepancy on a credit card. I have a whole separate credit card set aside for it. Okay. That's the answer. All right. He didn't like that answer. I felt he was unsatisfied. No, he was really unsatisfied. I felt like he was unsatisfied with that question. He wanted to trip you up there. And I'm sorry. I'm an idiot. Thank you, Paparazzi. We don't need to go that far. Mikey Show. Hey, hi. You guys still doing a lift? No, we're all done now. All right, thank you. Paparazzi, if you're still listening, try not to read into what Eddie said too much. All about the idiot part? Yeah, you know, you don't want to analyze that. No, no. It is what it is. It could drive you crazy. No, I'm saying the more you look into it, the more you try to break it up and break it down and, like, you know, analyze it and dissect it, the more crazy it makes you. Just take it at face value. Mikey Show. Hey, guys, I just wanted to tell you, I listened all day today, and you guys were all on Facebook.
fire today. It's P1 Marcos. Especially props to Rob, dude. He had a good day. He talked a lot. More freestyle to Kai and to Bauman, dude. I had to pull over. I was dying. How did you know Bauman? How did you remember Bauman? That's awesome. Because I'm a true P1, Mikey. Nice. Let me tell you something. Woods is so angry if he's listening online. Steve, if he's listening online right now, he's so mad that Bauman got referenced. Oh, you get Bauman credit, dude. Those are my lines. Yeah, great, Mikey. Thanks. Yeah, but good day, man. And Hoey, man, I wish I was there. That sounded like a great treat. Thank you, bro. All right, man. Mikey Show. Hey, whatever happened with that Cheaters Hotel where the guy said he was getting a trip to Cabo? Well, he never sent us any itinerary. Right. If he was going to Cabo, he sure never sent us any itinerary. All right, man. Thanks. Appreciate it. Thank you. Bye. All week long, we've been playing our favorite Christmas songs at the end of the day. On Monday, it was Ashley, Boston, Rob, and Zeth.
Mariah Carey, all I want for Christmas is you. Oh, yeah. On Tuesday, it was Sean, and he played Last Christmas by Wham. It's Shawnee. Yesterday, it was Skye's turn, and she played Oh, Holy Night by Tracy Chapman. Oh, that dude, Tracy Chapman? That was brutal. Eddie said it sounded like John Mayer. Stupid. Like a young John Mayer. Yeah. So today is Eddie's turn. Eddie, how did you select your favorite Christmas song? Dude, this was so hard because I have so many. I have a whole Daryl Hall, John Oates Christmas vibe I was thinking about. I love a lot of Elvis' Christmas stuff. But of course, I had to go to my roots, which it was basically my CD that has all the Rankin-Bass stuff on there. And my favorite movie is Santa Claus is Coming to Town. But that's like picking your favorite kid. I couldn't do it. So I went with my favorite song from Rudolph, which is Holly Jolly Christmas by Sam the Snowman. There it is. A.K.A. Browise. Eddie has a whole mixtape of these songs. It's all those television shows that come on on ABC that are the stop motion animation. And Eddie loves them. And so today we're going to do a Holly Jolly Christmas. You'll know it.
Eddie's favorite. Sing along at home. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. We will see you tomorrow. The Mikey Show is out. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. Before we do it. Wait, wait, wait. I promised Rob. I promised Rob. Rob, go ahead. I'm going to be out tonight. San Marcos. Come watch Thursday Night Football with me at the 55-yard line. It's right in Restaurant Row tonight at 530 till 715. I'm going to come see you. Do it. I'm going to do it. Eddie's favorite song. Yeah, Eddie. Have a holly jolly Christmas. It's the best time of the year. Have a cheer. Holly Christmas. And when you walk down the street, say hello to friends you know and everyone you know. And in case you didn't, by golly have a holly Christmas this year.
