The show opened with a lively debate about Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson’s DUI arrest and whether his refusal to take a breathalyzer would become a team distraction. Later, Sherry Shepard shared a cringe‑worthy plane story involving Jeremy Piven, while the crew gushed over the Snuggie blanket‑with‑sleeves and plotted a Cheaters Hotel sting that caught Tyler’s wife Erica naming Boston Rob as her secret guest. The program also featured an interview with Chargers coach Norv Turner, who downplayed the Jackson incident and talked about LT’s groin injury, and ended with Apple’s announcement that iTunes would drop DRM and introduce tiered pricing. Throughout, recurring bits like the YouTube Wii kid clip and the upcoming Boston Rob human pinata stunt kept the energy high.

It is 6-0-4. Jennifer Gardner gave birth to a baby girl yesterday. This is the second daughter for her and Ben Affleck. Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was arrested on a DUI charge early yesterday morning. Jackson will still play in the playoff game on Sunday, though. Wow. What are the details on that? You know, I guess that he refused to take a breathalyzer test, and once you do that, you're automatically charged. Really? Oh, yeah. Haven't we heard, though, that it's better to do that? No. No? Refusal, dude? Yeah, I thought that a lawyer or a cop had told us that, you know, don't do that because you're basically incriminating yourself or something. No? No. Well, I mean, you're automatically charged if you refuse a breathalyzer test. But, you know, he had blood drawn, so they'll find out the results of that, you know, in the next coming weeks. But with the NFL... collective bargaining agreement, you can't be disciplined for alcohol or like that kind of stuff. Really? What about drugs? What if it had been drugs? So if it's booze, they're kind of like a little bit more lenient, you think? Yeah, definitely. Because it's not an illegal substance. Right, right. You know? Yeah, so wasn't it like Claremont at 2 in the morning or something? Claremont. 805 and 52. You know what I mean? And he refused to yield to a stop sign or something.
And then that's when the coppers pulled him over. At what time? 2.30 in the morning. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Dude, somebody said, Rebecca said this last weekend, we were talking to some people, and she goes, nothing good is up at 2 o'clock in the morning. I said, man. That's a great point. So true. So true. Nothing good is up at 2 o'clock in the morning. You know, part of me is like, dude, what are you even doing out? You have a huge game coming up. you know, my entire team, I would tell to, you know, dude, just stay home one week, one week, just don't go up. You have the rest of the year to party. You can do whatever you want after, you know, after the season's over. That is so true. But then, you know, I'm like, well, you know, it was his day off, you know, Tuesdays are his days up, you know, the team's days off, so it'd be like a Saturday night for you and me, and, you know, these guys are young, lots of money, and, you know, I kind of understand it, but I just, man. Unnecessary distraction. Time. Uh, So I am, it's two o'clock in the, or it's six o'clock in the morning. It's not two o'clock in the morning for me, but six o'clock in the morning for me, apparently not the best time for coffee. How's it going? Oh, what happened? Did you fail to yield? I failed to yield. Oh my gosh. Oh no. With the dowsing. Well, I, first of all, I'm wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt and unbeknownst to me, spoke coffee on myself. Didn't even know. That's the worst because you got to get it right away. Happened in the car. Oh.
And so I ran into Ashley in the hallway. As you know, she's an expert when it comes to stains. But all she ever says is just put water on it. She says douse it. She told me to douse it. Cold water. And so I did what she said, and it didn't work. I came back out. She left out the whole washing machine and soap part. No, but the thing is, Mike, is you got to do it right away. If you let that coffee stain set, then it's going to be tougher. Oh, you set it and forget it. Yeah, set it and forget it. That's right. That's something different. Do you use your ShamWow? I don't have it. I don't have it on me. Oh, well then. I use my Tide stick. I do have a Tide stick. Did that thing work for you? Yeah. Really? That works pretty good. I got one of those. Never used it. You never used it? No, no, no. I used it once and the stain didn't come out. Right away. You got to use it right away. She's right. You got to use it right away. Immediately. And it will work. Ten minutes. No, you got to use it like in zero minutes. Instantly. Spill. Tide stick. Zero minutes? Yeah, zero minutes. I get that. I'm trying to stand a little bit more. I went to my first Frog's Fitness thing yesterday. There you go. Back with my trainer, Wendy.
How are you still walking? I know it, dude. My stomach, you know, is sore. Feel the burn. It's a good sore, you know? So deep. It's the sore that says I'm moving now. Yeah. 1,001, 1,002. Yes. But she wants me standing and working on my posture. She wants my... Yeah, because I just stand the way I stand. And I stand wrong. So she wants my shoulders back. And she wants my... My boobs out. It's okay. 60% of Americans stand wrong. Good fake stat. 100% of the time. That's right. That is good. All right. So there's seven people on the show. Myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, and the artists formerly known as Sir Roosevelt, Zethi, and Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, DDS, President and CEO. That's it on TV. All right, Cherry's Jubilee, and that's it. That's it. No more. Seven of us. That's a lot. All I heard was that a charger had been arrested, but I didn't know who it was until right now. Yeah, he actually released a statement, which I found very interesting. What? He says, this morning I was stopped by an officer. I don't think any charges will be filed as a result of the stop. Huh.
In the event they are, I look forward to clearing my name and proving my innocence. Hmm. Weird. Sounds like he's going to plead not guilty. Did he have something else on his record? Yeah, he has a previous DUI. He does. He's currently on probation. Really? Well, it was back in 2006. And so, you know, I'm sure, you know, you're on probation for a few years, right, Rob? I got 10 because of the severity of my... 10 years? Yeah. Of probation? When I'm 33, I'm off. Oh, my. I always have that thing in my head. Whenever I hear this, it's like, gosh, man, you guys have so much money. You can't pay for a cab or have a guy drive you. You know you're going to go out partying. Really, you're not going to pay for a driver? Right. This is worth it? Yeah. That's crazy. And they probably are partying together. They should get together and just be like, dude, let's make a night of it, man. Limo. Limo. Yeah. Dude, that's nothing to them. Pick you up, pick me up, and we'll be good. It's frustrating. I know it. Well, our phone lines are open for you. 570-1053. So now, I'm sure, the story will become distraction? And I guess it's a legitimate question. Is it a distraction? The fact that he's playing in the game is...
it makes it less of a distraction. Yeah. I mean, if you were out of the game, oh boy. Yeah. That would be huge. Yeah. But the fact he's playing, I think the teammates, you know, probably are like, yeah, whatever. Whatever. So you don't think the teammates, like, it bugs them that this, like, is this getting asked about it? No. It would piss me off. Yeah. I'd be like, hey, bro, you know, we got a game, a big game coming up. But who can say that? Who hasn't gone out and partied and done all that kind of stuff? You know, I mean, remember last year in the playoffs how angry I was about Sean Phillips going to L.A. and, you know, he was filming stuff and shot out at TMZ. You know, who's going to pull Vincent Jackson aside and be like, dude? You don't think Phillip Rivers doesn't do things? Phillip Rivers, LT, those guys, you know, you don't ever hear, you know, anything coming from them. Yeah, but they're married. Yeah, I mean, they could, but I just don't think it's that kind of atmosphere in the locker room. Shouldn't someone? What are you going to say to them? Hey, man. Hey, listen. Listen, I remember what it was like. So I'm not just saying this to you because I ain't been there. I've been there, man. No, you haven't, actually. You were married in high school. Hey, I'm going to tell you that now, though, man. Both her and I, we would put some crazy stuff in that sweet tea. No, I don't believe you. We would put some crazy stuff in that sweet tea. Sweet tea is your thing. We made homemade wine, man.
Prunes and oranges and a clean sock. Right down the toilet. No, no, no. That's filthy. 570-1053 is the number. And the text number is 35253. And we also have an answering machine, P1 answering machine. You can call that 858-715-1923. And if you want to, you can leave a message on that. The biggest headline in San Diego today is Vincent Jackson. Yeah, I saw it on TMZ last night. That's where I first heard of it. Yeah, on TMZ.com. Oh, my, man. That's crazy! Let's see. What else is happening in the world? Big news, too, entertainment-wise, is that Jennifer Gardner had her kid yesterday, right? Yep, another little baby girl.
Her and Ben Affleck. Are they like stupid namers? They have not released a name yet. Their three-year-old daughter is named Violet, so lots of people are speculating they're going to go with another flower, you know, like a flower name. Petunia. Sunflower. Yeah. So I'm sure we'll find out that name within a couple days. Cactus. It's only for a boy. Saboro. Yeah, masculine. Saboro. Yeah, cactus only works for a boy. Yeah. You can't use that for a girl. No. Hey, Sean, you got the clip, the Sherry Shepard clip? Yes, I do. Okay, so Sherry Shepard, who I only know as being one of these ladies that talks on that show, The View, she got on an airplane with Jeremy Piven. It's kind of a crazy story. Listen to this clip. Wait, hold on. Sorry. One second. She was going to L.A., I guess. Got on first class, I would only assume. Right. I don't think she sat next to Jeremy Piven. Here we go. Now, we get on the plane. I see a guy with the fedora, a little short guy, because I upgraded with my miles. And he had this look on his face like, oh, great. So we get on the plane. I sent Jeffrey. And Jeffrey's all happy. He's like, go on the internet. Pause. He's screaming. Hang on a second. Yeah. We updated because of my miles. Please. Complete lie. Really? Yeah.
You mean, so you fly coach normally. Yeah, if you didn't have the miles, you'd be, you know, southwest in it. Hey, listen. I mean, if you fly first class, just say I fly first class. I've flown first class a couple of times, and it's a blessing. It's awesome to be able to, you know what I mean? But that upgraded my miles. It's such annoying. Unpause. And it's Jeremy Piven from Entourage. He's sitting right next to me. And he's got Jeffrey. And I got Jeffrey. And, you know, yeah, his face like. Because he has too much mercury in him. Yeah, well, you know, Jeffrey, Jeremy Pivens left the Broadway play Speed the Plow because he's got mercury poisoning. So I don't know if that irritated look that he had was because of the mercury running through his veins. Or my son. But this was, he was just on the show. And normally I would go, hey, you know. But he had this look on his face like, you know, he just had this look on his face like, you know, I don't know if Jeffrey was bought. So I said nothing to Jeremy Piven. We just avoided each other because I think he saw me. He's been on the show, so he must know you. So I bought Jeremy. If my son bothered you at all, I'm sorry, but we don't do this purpose. He was just excited. He had the buttons and Jeffrey was going, oh!
I don't know if it bothered Mr. Piven. He was more irritated with you, Sherry. He actually liked the kid. Yeah. So, yeah, so he hears about it. Jeremy Piven hears about it. Oh, no. Yeah. Now, he plays Artie on Entourage. Ari. Ari, Ari. And I guess he writes her a note or something. Cut 12. So sweet. He says, my sincerest. Apologies. I'm not going to read it all. But he says, I felt so foolish for not recognizing you during our recent flight. And he said he didn't want to be a stalker when he did recognize me. But he said, the last thing I would want to do is offend you or your adorable son, Jeffrey. I'll admit, I did glance over at you and Jeffrey a few times during the flight. And I could tell by watching you with him what an incredible mother you are. And that is something to be admired. Thank you. Now when people text and email, do they use like... Correct punctuation. He said all my best to you. He said, I look forward to seeing you sooner rather than later. What does that mean? I don't know. I don't know. It could be a booty call of some sort. I don't know. Thank you, Jeremy. I appreciate that. What was the punctuation thing? What? A gaggle of idiots. That's what Elizabeth took away from it, that Jeremy Piven had great punctuation.
She was like, hey, you know what else is really cool about this? This is the moral of the story. Yeah. And what else is weird is when she's telling about this letter, she says he apologizes for not recognizing her, but then goes on to say he didn't want her to think that he was a stalker. Right. So how can you stalk someone if you don't recognize them? Yeah. It is weird. The whole thing's a little goofy, right? Dude. This text message at 35253 says... Mikey, that is correct. If you refuse to take a DUI test in the state of California, it's an automatic DUI on your record. And they also revoke your license. Wow. It's P1J man, which almost seems like, you know, they're forcing you to do something. Oh, yeah. They want you to. Yeah. They suspect you. Wow. Eddie, somebody should pull LT aside and tell him to man up. That's P1J. Over LT. Wow. Oh, my gosh. That makes me sick. There's some people, I guess, that really think that he's not, you know, toughening it up or something. You know, you know, the report is that there is a tendon that's ripped off of the bone in his groin. You should just rub some dirt on that.
I mean, the guy, and if that is the case, that that's what he has, and he went out there and played in the last game, this is the toughest guy I've ever known. I mean, that's... Could you imagine cutting and doing... I mean, he flat out said this is the toughest injury I've ever had. And we know about, you know, his toe and all that stuff that he's been dealing with and, you know, the injury last year to his knee. And, you know, I mean, that's just terrible fanship. that you call him out for something like that. I mean, that's just awful. Yeah, because he's doing his best. He wants to be out there. I mean, he's doing everything he can to be out there. Give him a break. Come on. What do they do for a tendon in your groin? What do they do? They'll have to have surgery. Oh, it's a deep burn. Go in there, resell it back up. Mighty putty. I don't think it works. Actually, the Hercules stuff. It does. That stuff works on everything from what I hear. Weird. I heard you could just stick the putty in there and put the tendon with your thumb and just... Wear your Snuggie. Oh, I want one so bad. Dude, you have one. It's called a blanket.
Yeah. Give me a blanket. No, no, no, no. I can't change the TV channel with a blanket, all right? That crazy problem that we all have. All right. I do. Of reaching out of the blanket. I do. Oh, it's so difficult. Dude, you know what happens? It's cold out there. I try it. Yeah. Dude, the popcorn goes flying everywhere. It's so hard. And the remote flies. And I'm like, ah. Oh, my God. You guys are haters. Dumbest free ever. Oh, I want one so bad that it's genius. You are ridiculous. It is genius that invention. Wear a hoodie. It's the same thing. It is not the same thing. It's the same thing. If there's a hoodie that covers my whole entire body, then I want that too. It's not a sweatsuit. No. I like the slanket. Is that what it is? The slanket, right? Snuggie. Snuggie and the slanket. Snuggie and the slanket. Yeah. And the only thing that would make it better for me is if it had mitts. Oh, dude, now you're talking. You know what I mean? Wow. You're a genius. Invent that. You're that cold, you guys? I mean, we live in San Diego. Oh, that's complete and utter comfort, you know? Yeah, yeah. Was this Wisconsin? Yeah, but I do have a problem. The back needs, like, Velcro, because you see those people sitting on the bleachers? Yeah. What? Their back must be freezing. Freezing. Oh, I want one. Because I don't know about you, but usually when I go to the games,
My dress has a plunging back line, and so it's exposed to the elements. Try a jacket. So it's very cold. Oh, I want one. Yeah, those Snuggies look pretty... Hey, listen, I say this. I say, Eddie, you want a Snuggie, too. We all want one. It's just some people won't admit it. I have... plenty of blankets and I'm fine. It's not the same. I can reach out of the blanket for 10 seconds. It's a disaster. I'm fine. I can handle it. And it falls like off your shoulder. It just falls off. It just falls off. You might lose it. Like it's flying across the room. You know what, Skye? Fine. Let his arm turn black with frostbite. Hypothermia. Hypothermia. You don't get it. Trying to do it like that. You don't get it. What I love about all those commercials is how they make the other way look impossible. Oh, yes. I mean, the utter struggle to get that remote. Yes. And it falling all over the place. Yes. It's impossible. It's fantastic. It's fantastic. 570-1053 is the number. You think Billy Mays is just kicking himself in? Damn it. Yes.
He's like, why didn't I? Why? Have you guys seen the Billy Mays ESPN commercial? Yeah, those are pretty funny. Genius. What is it? He's promoting ESPN. ESPN 360. Oh, yeah, yeah. In the same style? Yeah. Same exact style. It's pretty funny. Hilarious. Hey, listen. Say what you will about Billy Mays, but that guy knows his products. Billionaire. He's a billionaire. He's a billionaire. I saw him promoting insurance now. Yeah? It's crazy. Is he really? Yeah. It's like on an insurance commercial and he's still got that, you know, yelling at you style. Yeah. Great. Made me want insurance. Apparently that's what works. Well, you should want insurance anyway. Made me want insurance. What special thing does it do? Yeah, right? I don't know. It saves you life and stuff. That's cool. The governor said no to the latest budget proposal. Oh, look at the Snuggie. We got it up on. We got it up on... Read a book. I want the royal blue. Enjoy a snack. How many colors can we pick from? Three different ones. Yeah, the green one's lame. What would you get, Sky? That is a grandmother knitting. That is not me.
I want royal blue. Dude, it's like they should be wearing Nikes. I mean, it's like a cult member. I know, dude. They all look like they should have purple shrouds and Nikes on. It's like a cloak. It is. It is. It's awesome. Wow. Hey, babe, let's play backgammon and wear snuggies. There's my keys. That is a party. You think they're going to open their mouth and all go, mwah? Look, it's a group of monks. A bunch of Jedi's. A bunch of Jedi's roasting marshmallows in their Snuggies. I could finally reach that remote. Oh, yes. I love it. I want one. I do. Come on. Oh, my wife would kill for that. She would love one. I really thought the boo was going to get me one for Christmas, but he didn't. He didn't? I thought you weren't getting each other gifts. Well, no, he picked me in Secret Santa. Why didn't you just order it for yourself? He got me one gift. Yeah, what's your deal? I would put it on and get in bed with it. You know, put the covers over me with the slanket on, man. You're going to sweat to death. Yeah, well, and it comes with that awesome book light, so I want one of those too. Get the book light with it? You will never use that. Oh, I would use that all the time. I have one of those book lights. I would use it all the time. Oh, man.
Do you have to hold it or does it hook onto the book? It hooks onto the book. Clips. Please. 2009. Oh, look at that blanket. I can't cover myself. This is useless. This is useless. How frustrating. Blanket everywhere. Wow. Tired of trying to use a blanket. Now we have one that you can put on with sleeves. You want to keep warm when you're feeling chill. You don't want to raise your heating bill. Blankets are okay, but they can slip and slide. I saved $7,000 with the Snuggie. Now there's the Snuggie, the blanket that has sleeves. The Snuggie keeps you totally warm. You can work the remote or read a book in total warmth and comfort. You guys want to hear that? or another great product out there called the Jar Glove. Oh, that's a good one. This is a good one. Take a listen. Opening jars. Every time it's the same old story. The twisting and turning. The aching and spraining. The scalding and burning. The swinging and striking. The panicking. The digging and burying. The resisting and tasing.
The convicting and sentencing. Tackling and imprisoning. Studying and appealing. The plotting and scheming. To open a jar. Accidents happen, man. 35253 is the text. This text says, A Mikey show. The winner of the $46 million lotto ticket that was sold in PB came forward yesterday and will hold a press conference later today. The Philadelphia District Attorney was unable to press charges against Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison after a gun owned by him was used in a shooting. Here's the DA talking about why they couldn't prosecute. At this juncture, we are unable to proceed with the criminal prosecution because of multiple, mutually exclusive, inherently untrustworthy, and sometimes false statements by the people present. Police have been unable to locate anybody else to date.
who may have been there that day. We have at least before us nine or so various versions of what was supposed to have happened between these five people. We cannot, as prosecutors, vouch for the credibility of any of these witnesses because they have given so many contradictory, false, misleading, incomplete statements, and so forth. Wow. Oh, strange. Doesn't sound shady at all. Nothing to see here? Nope. Well, we found out who Jason Whitlock is. Okay. Jason Whitlock apparently is a writer for Fox Sports. And he apparently just did an article called NFL Truths. And he names off a bunch of what he believes to be truths. Like a top ten kind of thing. And it's NFL Truths. Peyton's a choker. LT is done in San Diego. Whoa.
He listed this one as number seven of his NFL truths. LaDainian Tomlinson will never start another game in a San Diego uniform, he says. Wow, that is a truth, he says. Here's what they say about Jason Whitlock. This is the research that we have on Jason Whitlock. He brings his edgy and thought-provoking style to FoxSports.com. He's a columnist for the Kansas City Star. He has won the National Journalism Award for commentary for his, quote, ability to seamlessly integrate sports and social commentary and to challenge widely held assumptions along the racial divide, unquote. This is what he says. LaDainian Tomlinson will never start another game in San Diego uniform. Man, this is a bad day for me. LT and Peyton Manning are two of my favorite players, but I have to keep it real. LT's injury saved the Chargers. With a healthy LT, Sproles never gets his chance to dominate the Colts. Darren Seabiscuit Sproles is an every down back. Yes, he's small, but the Biscuit, like the legendary undersized thoroughbred, is made to run with the big dogs. I've been watching Seabiscuit make fools of bigger men ever since he starred.
at Aloth North High School, 20 minutes from my home. When he signed with Kansas State, I had my doubts. He put a clown suit on me and everyone in the Big 12. What he did to the Colts on Saturday, 328 all-purpose yards, did not surprise anyone who saw him play in high school and college. The biscuit is off the chains. LT should be on the trading block this offseason. He'd be a wonderful addition to the Patriots. Rob, are you pretty excited? So stupid. Interesting. I guess you can just say anything. I guess so. I guess so. You can say and you can write anything you want. It can be as goofy as you want it to be. I heard Brett Favre is going to come here to San Diego and be the new quarterback. I heard he was going to be our mayor. Really? Wow. That's crazy. He was doing both. I heard Obama just nominated him for Secretary of State. And Secretary of Hot. That'll be a quick confirmation. Speaking of that, Sarah Palin was talking about her future. Cut 20. You had mentioned earlier that you don't even know if politics is where you can make your best impact in the end.
But everybody went after the campaign that you're going to make a run for the 2012. Is that something you look at? That's an assumption out there. I'm not going to close that door. I'm not going to close any door. And that's always the way that I have lived my life. And so far, so good with that principle that I have had is if there is a door open and if I believe that it is best for those who will be served, and certainly if it's best for my family, I'm not going to close the door. I'm going to try to plow right on through that. If that door is one that may be open that should be considered. I won't exclude the possibility. I don't think she has a future. The reason I don't is because I think that the Democrats and the liberal media were exquisite. They were able to orchestrate her into being an idiot flawlessly. I don't think she is an idiot. I think she's a bright woman, and I think she's a good politician. I think that they did such a good job. You know, hey, I doffed my cap. They did a great job. Listen, you ruined the political career. She'll never be able to effectively, in my opinion, I don't think she'll ever be effectively able to run again. But she's not a moron. But they did such a good job, man. I mean, I don't think she can. I don't think she's a moron. I just don't think she's presidential material. Well, the reason that you don't think, I won't speak for you.
The reason that I think that a lot of people don't believe that she's presidential material is because she was painted into being a dum-dum. Those were her own words, though. She wasn't painted. It's not like somebody edited things together and, you know, photoshopped things. These were her words to questions that she wasn't prepared to answer. And as president, you should be prepared to answer things. I agree. I agree. But I also believe that she was asked much tougher questions than your boy. Like, what do you read? I don't get how that's a tough, like, set-up question. Hey, Obama's not asking. Obama is not grilled. You know what? If he was asked, he'd have an answer. How do you know? He's never been asked. Well, I assume so. I would assume he would have an answer on what he reads. I would assume that, too, but I would have assumed that about Sarah Palin. Yeah, and that's why I think she's a dum-dum, because she didn't. Sky, the only reason you know is because you had a very liberal media who said, I got an idea. Nobody does that. With Obama, it was all softballs. And we saw what happens with him when he's not standing in front of a teleprompter. Is he a dum-dum because when the teleprompter goes down?
He can't speak? No, he's not. He's actually not. He can't speak, but no one memorizes a whole entire speech. It tripped him up, and then he went on. Yes, it tripped him up. I think it would trip anybody up. I think that both is true about both of them. Neither one of them are stupid. He's not stupid, she's not stupid, but he had the benefit of a media that really fell in love. See, to me... A softball question is, what do you read? Not like talking about the Middle East and stuff like that. Those aren't softball questions. It was a bizarre question that came out of left field. To me, it's not a political question. It tripped her up. It tripped her up, but then she wasn't able to recover at all. Neither was Obama. Yes, he was. No, he wasn't. We'll play that clip back again. Listen to that clip. Do you have it, Sean? He was tripped up for what? Maybe like 30 seconds? And then he went on. Wow. Yeah, when the teleprompter came back on. Yeah, I mean, Sky, come on with that one. That teleprompter thing is... And it's another beautiful example of no one ever heard about that teleprompter story. I had to dig that one up and get it out there. I did. I had to tell Sean, hey, I want you to find it because I saw it on my conservative websites. You're not seeing it on CNN. You're not seeing it on anything. It wasn't a news story. It wasn't a news story. The only reason it was made public...
It's because somebody from the conservative side said, how come nobody's talking about this? Well, we got it out there. All I'm saying is I don't think she's presidential material. And I think this is what you're about to hear is Barack Obama speaking to an audience. Everybody knows that it makes no sense that pause. What you're about to hear is Barack Obama speaking to an audience with the use of a teleprompter that abruptly goes out. And when it goes out, you hear what Barack Obama sounds like when he doesn't have a teleprompter. Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma. They end up taking up a hospital bed. You gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment. A breathalyzer. Oh, no. You know this stuff, though, right, Barack? You know this information. That's what you're passionate about. Why don't you just tell everybody? Yeah, but he knows the info, right? He's passionate about it. Well, he does, but he was in the middle of reading something. Well, it costs too much money, but you know what? It would cost about the same as what we would spend. Over the course of 10 years, it would cost what it would cost us.
Well, you know this, Barack, right? I mean, this is your stuff. We're going to. Okay. Okay. It would cost us about the same as it would cost. Right. What? For about. Hold on one second. I can't hear myself. I'm glad you're fired up, though. I'm glad. Well, I don't think either one of them are dumb. I don't think he's dumb. I don't think he's dumb. I just think, listen, when you're put in a situation. Where you're being like, the truth is, what she should have said is, I haven't read the New York Times in a long time. I get information, but I get it from various sources. I get it from the internet. She got freaked out and sounded like a dope. Like that clip. Mikey, just wanted to say that you guys are awesome and I look forward to hearing you every morning. That's people in Golden Hams. Mikey, that's how LT Tour is growing, trying to open a jar. Oh, no. You should have got a jar glove. P1 can't wait for it. A. Mikey, is it true that the Ultra Star Cinema Theater will show the Chargers game? That's P1 question mark. I haven't heard that. Is that true? I don't know. I don't know. Sounds cool to me if that's the deal. Yo, Mikey, check out the Slapshot. It's the same guy that did ShamWow. Hilarious. It's P1 Street Fighter. The Slapshot? Or the Slap Chop. Yeah, Slap Chop.
What is it? Oh, yeah, dude. I've just seen this. It's like a dicer, pretty much, you know? But it's got... It's like an upside-down cup. It's got the blade in it, and it's got this, like, just handle that comes up. And you just go... And you just slap it once to cut it once. I think we might have one. Slap high and spits with slap chop. You're going to be in a great mood all day because you're going to be slapping your troubles away with the slap chop. Here's a potato. One slap. You got big chunks for stews. Two slaps. Home fries in a second. And look at this. When you add a mushroom, the more you do it, I don't get you to switch any blades. Now, you love salad. You hate making it. You know you hate making salads. I hate how many salad in your diet. Watch this. One slap. Salad. I love pizza too. One slap. At least throw it on top of the pizza. Salad. You're going to change your eating habits. Does he wear the headset because he's taking orders right then and there? He's got on one of the drive-thru headsets in LA. You can't do this all day. You're going to have an exciting life now. What you can do, you can mix things together. You add the ham, and you're going to love this. You don't have time to make breakfast.
Question. Question. You're going to love my nuts. Watch this. Okay. Or you can do it on the board. Whatever you like. So easy. Thank you. Thank you, Sean. That was uncomfortable. I'm sure. Definitely not. Because on the phone with us right now, on the phone with us right now, San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner is on the line. Norv, how are you? Hey, I'm good. How are you guys? I'm pretty good. It's good to have you on the show. Yeah, good morning. I was going to say, wow, gee, you're up early. But I guess in playoff week, you're going to be up early. What time did you get up today? Well, we keep a pretty normal schedule. I mean, regular schedule. And I'm more of a morning guy. So I was up around five probably. Wow. Wow. And what will today be like for you today, Norv?
Today, we really get our main work done starting today and tomorrow. We'll start at 8 o'clock with a special teams meeting. 9 o'clock, we get the entire team in. We meet until about 11 and go out on the field and have a walkthrough and then have some more meetings after lunch. Then we practice from 1.30 to about 3.30. After that, the players get about an hour. for treatment and all that, and then we have another meeting, about a 45-minute meeting before we let him go home. Norv Turner, the head coach for the San Diego Chargers on the line. Norv, I'm going to be honest, this is not going to be the easiest interview in terms of the questions, what just happened with Vincent Jackson and, you know, with the injuries associated with LT. What was your response? to hearing about Vincent Jackson. How did you find out? You know, the first thing, unfortunately, when something like this happens, you're obviously disappointed. And, you know, I don't know what the final outcome is going to be. Obviously, Vincent has issued a statement and feels that there will be no charges. You know, what you have to do is let the legal process run its course. And then, obviously, the...
All these things have been taken out of teams' hands in terms of handled by the league. The league has a strong disciplinary program. And, you know, unfortunately, if, you know, there could be penalties if it is, you know, if he's guilty. Obviously, there's disappointment. There's the other side of it. When you have a team like this, I've been a father for 26 years. And I know Vincent, and I know the type of person he is. And if he's made a mistake, and he made a mistake putting himself in this position, you know, we're going to help him handle it. As a head coach, well, first of all, have you talked to him yet? I have not had the chance to talk to him. You know, I'll see him in here pretty soon. What will be your approach? Oh, with Vincent? I mean, yeah, I'm going to deal with him one-on-one. As I said, I haven't had a chance to talk to him and hear his side of it, but he knows how I feel about it. We talk about these things with our team on a regular basis. Do these conversations last a while, or are these relatively short office conversations? This is something that obviously you and I just talk about the things that have to happen.
It'll be handled through the league, and what we have to do, what Vincent has to do, is put it behind him as quickly as possible, obviously, because he's got to prepare himself to go play a football game. Our sports guy, Eddie, was saying this earlier, that if it had been a situation where he wasn't going to play, it could probably be a distraction for the team. But because he's still going to play... will this be a distraction or will this be something that the team won't even be a blip on their radar? No, I think we have to do everything we can to not let it be a distraction. The fact that you and I are talking about it and other people are talking about it, that obviously creates a possibility for a distraction. The great thing about this team, obviously, if this team was going to be distracted, they would have been distracted a long time ago because we've had a lot of things we've had to deal with this year. What is LT's status right now, Coach? LT is going to be a day-to-day thing. He was in getting treatment yesterday. He's still fairly sore from playing on Saturday night. You know, I'm not real optimistic, but I believe when you're dealing with someone like LT, you're going to give him the best chance you can. We have a plan to go play if LT can't play.
I mean, when you guys drafted this number 43, did you guys, I mean, you knew this kid's probably going to kill it on special teams, returning punts and so forth. But did you have any idea that he was capable of what he's been doing as a running back? You know, I was in Oakland when he was drafted. I actually coached Darren at the Senior Bowl. He made a strong impression on all the coaches down there. And it's one of those deals where I think coaches look at it and say, boy, this guy is really special. And then, you know, when you're scouting, you have to be smart in terms of evaluating players. And you say, well, this guy, there's no one of this guy's size who's ever been a full-time player or there's only been one or two or whatever those things are. So I think, you know, you knew that the guy was special in his abilities. I think anyone would. would say, hey, we're concerned that if he can be an every-down guy or be a long-term guy because of his size. But there are certain guys that defy all odds, and he certainly has proven he does. Norv Turner is on the line with us, and the Chargers are taking on the Steelers this weekend. Norv...
If there has been a knock, the knock has been that you are not a rah-rah guy. You're not a fire-em-up type of guy with the inspirational speech. Is that fair? I don't think so. I think I pick my spots. The game, what people see, and certainly on Sundays, I'm... Like there's a lot of coaches this way who are managing one side of the ball, calling the plays and orchestrating what's happening. And if I had a guy calling plays and I had an offense coordinator and a defense coordinator or someone who was actually calling the plays other than me, I could spend more time interacting with all the players and being more of a so-called cheerleader. But that's not what I do. And I don't think that's... kept us from getting done what we want to get done. Obviously, our problems early in the year were not based on emotion and energy. They were based on not finishing games at the end of the game and not finding a way to come up with a stop or not finding a way to come up with that play we needed to keep a drive going. You just mentioned it. Halfway through the season, the switch was made at defensive coordinator from Ted Cottrell to Ron Rivera.
are the biggest defensive philosophy differences between Ted Cattrall and Ron Rivera? I think we've probably reduced the number of things we're trying to do. So our guys get to do the same things over and over and over again. So we've got more consistency. And then Ron does a great job, I think, and it showed up the other night. And we talk about it a lot. You have to have it in all three phases. Momentum changers, the calls you make in critical situations, obviously the call he made on third and three, the position he put our defense in to go sack Manning, I think he's got a good feel for those things. Eddie, you got a question? Yeah, Norv, you know, one of those games that the team wasn't able to finish off was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Playing them for the second time, what is it that concerns you the most about the Steelers? You know, it's funny because... I remember after that game and people saying, well, gosh, you couldn't score and you only scored one touchdown and all the different things involved. And then you look at their schedule and their games, and they've had about four games like that. You know, Dallas, who's very good on offense, went in there and struggled. And, you know, Ben drove the ball the length of the field at the end of the game to beat us, to beat them just like he beat us. And they have a knack of doing that at their field.
Obviously, one of the things we have to do, you know, we have to go in and protect the ball because those two outside linebackers lead the league in forced fumbles. And then we're going to be in a close game. We're going to be in a game like we were the other day, and we're going to have to find a way to get first downs and score points in the fourth quarter, and we're going to have to find a way to stop them when they get in a two-minute situation if that's what they get into. Hold that ball high and tight, Darren. That's what I want Darren to do. I want him to hold that ball up straight. Hold it up vertical and tuck it right in there into the chest. Block that James Harrison. That's right. Well, listen, this is going to be a tough game. You guys know this going in there. You know it's a tough defense. Is this team playing right now, Coach, with kind of a chip on their shoulder? I believe so. I think a lot of the things that happened early. We know the cause of them, and I think there's a lot of people in this locker room that are kind of saying, hey, I know we screwed up early and we weren't at our best, but we're better than that and feel like they have something to prove. Who are the vocal locker room guys? You know, it's funny because people get caught up in being vocal.
You know, that's good for the sound bites and when the guys are mic'd. But one of our strongest guys and one of the guys that our players probably listen to more than anyone is Jamal Williams. And he's not loud and he's not vocal. But when he says something, you know, the whole room gets quiet. So there's a lot of different ways of doing it. Stephen Cooper is very vocal and he's very effective. Obviously, you guys have seen Phillip. He's vocal when he needs to be. But we have great leadership in our locker room. And, you know, we have high character guys. I'm a very inspirational speaker, Coach Turner. Oh, wait. I don't. I'll put your name right on the list of about 500 letters I've had that people are requesting to come in and talk to the team. Is that for real? Do you really get letters of people saying that they'll do that? I get a lot of letters from people who would like to come in and help for a day, yeah. Wow. That's cool. Okay, well, add my name to the list. There you go. All right. I really think I'm inspirational. All right, it's Norv Turner. He's the head coach for the San Diego Chargers. We appreciate you taking the time and calling in. Good luck, coach. Okay, thank you. Good luck. There it is. Wow. And I didn't do it one time, right? I was proud of you. I was worried. That was interesting.
The next three minutes, I'll be dissecting that and analyzing it in my head over and over again. All of the things that he said and that I heard. You know, we're going to be putting Rob, hoisting him up on a crane tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. and inviting all of you mad men and mad women down here to look at him hoisted up there on that crane. We should have invited North. Yeah. A couple swings at Rob. That's right. What we're going to do is we're going to... Have him in Pittsburgh Steeler garb. Yeah. Hoist him up. We're going to have the news come down here and film it. And we're going to let you guys come down here and take wax at him with a stick. Like a piñata. Yeah. And then we're going to give you prizes and stuff. That's awesome. Yeah, we're going to give you prizes. Wear your charger gear, look good for the TV, and come out and take a whack at Rob. Tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. When we come back, yesterday they made an arrest.
Remember when the lady got into the crash and she was killed and somebody picked up her purse? Yes. They made an arrest. We'll tell you about that arrest coming up. Mikey. Great show, everybody. Great show. Hey, let me tell you. BMW Encinitas is the place. I went to the car show and had an opportunity to sit in this new automobile, the new BMW 7 Series. It's art. It's a work of art. It's like a sculpture. It is so incredible. But one of the things that I want people to know about BMW is that, yeah, they do make very high-end cars, but they also make high-end cars that are now affordable. And because the economy is in the place where the economy is, they want to make deals. They want to move these cars. They need to. They have to survive.
And Brian Wood, the general manager down there, he was already in a place where he was going, I want to get your listeners in here. I want to make this BMW dealership a success. So you're working both of those angles with him. Not to mention when you get a loaner car from BMW Encinitas because you take your car in there for service, you get a BMW. Only place. in San Diego County that can say that. They're 25 minutes from anywhere in San Diego. They're on Encinitas Boulevard between the 5 and El Camino Real. BMW, Encinitas. Let me ask you, before you heard me talking about AIS, Kind of what took you so long to call them? You weren't sure if it was for real or what's the deal? I wanted to save some money, so I finally made the call. I use AIS myself, so it isn't like I'm an endorser of a product that I don't use. I use AIS. I have AIS, and so does P1 Jenny. Well, it's not that new anymore. But welcome back, man. It's good to have you back here. What else is happening? What else is happening in the news? Laura Bush apparently is going to be writing her memoirs. What's the story with that? Well, it was announced yesterday that Laura Bush will write her memoir. They say it's expected to be released in about 2010. And when asked how much she's being paid for it, they said no comments. Really? Yeah. $14. I think a little bit more. I believe that she will be paid $14. My phone's ringing. How are you doing? Hello, Barbara. That's Barbara calling. How are you guys? I haven't heard from you in a while. Happy New Year. Yeah, that's right. I celebrated my Happy New Year for a week, and it was really great. I'm really glad to... An entire week? Yeah. It's actually 10 days, but they let me out early. You guys doing well? Out of work. What is that? Well, actually, I skate, but are you guys doing good? Okay, that's scary. You're doing great, Barbara. The reason I was calling...
Was I couldn't help but overhear this thing about the... Over here? Yeah, I was eavesdropping on somebody listening to you on the radio. That's really weird. And I heard you guys talking about this whole Laura Bush and the memoir thing. Yes, that is true. And did you guys know that I was doing that too? I called you last time and told you I was working on the same thing. Well, no, you actually said you were writing a dating advice book. Right. Did I say that? Yes, you did. Yes, you did. I meant memoir. Oh, well, that is a big difference, Barbara. I mean, that's... If you guys don't mind, I want to read you a little bit of it. Oh, that's good. A little something from your memoir? Okay. Yeah, I'm going to flip to the chapter called All Them Low-Down Dirty Mamas Down at Starbucks. Okay. All right. This is a period of my life where my black girlfriend, Brenda Van Zandt, was... She was losing her vacation home in Aspen. Did I mention I'm black? Many times you've claimed that. I'm a black woman. And she was so catty when our paths would cross at Starbucks. And this is one of the notes that I wrote on it. It's in the book. I saw Brenda today and scowled at her through my D&Gs. What?
What? Dolce & Gabbana? Dolce & Gabbana. Oh, good thing you're here. Got you, girl. Got you, girl. No idea. I wrote, she's so Nordstrom-Rack, and I can't even believe it. Is that an insult or a compliment? I think it's... Hi, Botox. No one can tell. I guess Dr. Henry was all booked. You know what? Oh, Barbara's getting upset. Barbara. The whole thing's making me mad again. I mean, you wrote it. Here's a passage from my book. Okay. Same thing. I was talking... about my black girlfriend, Brenda Van Zandt. I said... I was describing her here when I said her palms are sweaty, her knees weak, her arms are heavy. There's vomit on her sweaty already. Mom's spaghetti. She's nervous. But on the surface, you know what? She looks calm and ready. And then I said about Brenda, I said, you better lose your...
You can't publish that. That's copy. That is good, though. Sky, it took me three months to write that. No, that's Lost City, girl. Anyone for a Tanqueray and Top Ramen? That sounds disgusting. You guys are probably going to be happy to hear that your show is actually in my book. What? Oh, really? That's true. Well, that's cool. I talk about the hard times when I was down and out and I didn't have much money. And then I talk about when I went to that huge event that you guys do every year. Which one? The Pick a Purse. And I won that beautiful handbag. We don't do that. And ever since then, it just seems that my luck has really changed. So I want to thank you guys. I want to thank you guys. Nope. That's you guys at the Picket Purse every year that you do. It's so good. Wonderful things that you guys have done for Becky's house. It's so sweet. I love what you guys have done. I love what you guys have done. Especially you, Chainsaw.
I am so, I'm so, I'm just so stoked on this whole book. I'm looking at it right now. I'm looking at the pages and everything and I'm just, it's got my fondest memories with everybody in it. It's so good. Like the time I had a tryst with Mike Lickenland. He played Bobby on the Brady Bunch. You had a tryst with Mike Lickenland. I did. I would never have guessed. He is such a gentleman. Really? Or was it Peter? Okay. I can't remember those silly details. I really can't. Silly details? I can't remember. It's kind of a big detail. Did you guys know that I was a naval pilot? Oh, my God. It's the truth. I really was. Are you joking? Oh, yes. I was a naval pilot. Terrific story. I went to the Naval Academy for the top pilots. And then tragedy struck when my partner Goose died. And I threw my dog tags right into the sea. And then in the end, my rivalry with Iceman was squashed. And I'll put that in your book. After I beat the Russian Migs, and that'll be in Chapter 5, I think.
I'm trying to take you seriously. You guys want to know the working title of my memoir? Sure. Oh, yeah. Memoirs of Players. That is stupid. Can I get a what, what? No. Thank you. You guys, no. You guys, I remember this one time, me and my homie Barack, we were just chilling at the crib, chopping it up. Really? Barack Obama. Mm-hmm. Yeah, your homie. That's right, my homie. Chopping it up. Mm-hmm. And I was all, for reals. And he was all, mm-hmm. And I was all, no, you didn't. And he was all, sure enough did. And I was all, what you talking about, Willis? And he was all, honey, don't play that. And I was all, two snaps up and a Z formation. And he was all, I pity the fool. And I was all, I don't play. That was not a conversation. That's terrible. You guys, my memoir is so ghetto. How ghetto is it? My memoir is so ghetto, Eddie, that I can't afford the pen and paper to write it down, so I just have to keep telling the story. Wow. Pretty ghetto. Interesting memoir. Hey, Eddie, my memoir is so ghetto. How ghetto is it? My memoir is so ghetto.
that I tell the stories of how my baloney had no first name. And I also talk about the time I was so broke. Eddie, I was so broke, I couldn't pay attention. Oh, my God. I'll tell you guys what. Oh, no. You guys are just such a great sport for San Diego and everyone listening. San Diego is really, really lucky to have you guys on the radio every morning. Rock 105.3. Wrestling. When your car has an issue with the brakes or the transmission or the tune-ups, or maybe you just need a simple oil change, take it to the place that I personally went into and talk to people that said that they've been going to Amco for years and years and years. They're double A.

Actually, I'm the cheesy double beef burrito from Taco Bell. You do sound delectable. But can you describe your economic theory? Seven words. Double the beef for only 89 cents. Double the beef for only 89 cents? How's that for a bailout plan? My apologies, Mr. Cheesy Double Beef Burrito. You're clearly one of the great economic thinkers of our time. Apology accepted. By the way, double the beef for only 89 cents is actually eight words. Yeah, I was never good with numbers. Taco Bell's Cheesy Double Beef Burrito. A double portion of seasoned beef smothered in warm melty nacho cheese sauce. It's double the beef for only 89 cents. Think outside the bun. Double the beef compared to Burrito Supreme. At participating locations, prices may vary tax extra. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I am a recovering alcoholic who did go to rehab. Eddie. I am a very good driver, but terrible Parker. Scott.
For the record, I will not respond to him. Sean. I have it while watching Boston Rock. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I love penguins. They're my favorite. On Rock 105.3. Welcome back to Mikey Show. It is 7.30. Yesterday, the governor rejected the latest budget proposal. He wants a plan that makes more cuts and creates more stimulus for the economy. All Sky sources say Manny Ramirez is too expensive for the San Francisco Jets. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. Before we went to break, I told you that we were going to tell you about the arrest that they made. You know, this poor woman was driving on the 5 up north of Loma Santa Fe over the weekend. She was killed and ejected from the car, and her purse was laying there by the side of the road. Somebody stopped and stole it.
And we were talking about just how heinous that is. Well, they made an arrest. Yeah, they're not giving many details, but they do say they have arrested a couple, a man and a woman, in Carlsbad yesterday. They made the arrest around 3 o'clock. They got a tip from a witness that said they saw a motorist in a station wagon briefly stop at the crash scene and pick up the purse. And then I guess due to the description of the car, it led them to this couple. And so this couple has been arrested on suspicion of stealing the purse of this woman who died in that crash. Yeah. Wow. So gross. I know. So very, very creepy whoever would do that. You know, they say that when they make an arrest pretty quick that it's usually good, you know. Yeah. The farther it goes. The tougher it gets. First 48. First 48. That's right. It's like a coffee stain. It actually is. You got to catch it early with a tight stick. You know what I mean? The chances of you getting it. Yeah, that's right. Or like, hello. What do you got going with the hair? What's happening with the hair here? I like it. I don't know what it is, but I like it. What do you got going on, Ash? What's happening? What's happening up there? Do you really like it? No, no. I really do. I am not. Listen, I'm not turning this into a Tommy Bahama shirt. All right.
your Tommy Bahamas shirt. I don't wear Tommy Bahamas shirts. I don't. She said something else, man. What has she got? What is happening up there? It's like a Steven Seagal. Yes. Yes. It's cool. It's the Steven Seagal. What is it? I don't even know what that meant. Well, but she's offended. I'll tell you that. But I didn't like it. It's a compliment. Yeah. What is it? It's a headband, but it's like rubber band material, I guess you could say. And then there's two of them. So it's like two little strings. It's like a little railroad track. That make the headband. And instead of tracks, it's your hair. So it's like two black little strips as opposed to one thick. And then the rest of the hair is pulled back in a pony. Yes. Very George Carlin. It is. Again, I don't like that. 5701053ism. I wish he just wouldn't. You two kids, come on. Stop it. You two get along. Like, have I said anything about his hat? That's a great hat. What are you talking about? Go ahead, compliment it all you want. That's right. He has to wear that because when they go and pick workers at the docks, he has to stand out. Okay, that's a good point. Dude, it helps. That's exactly the type of hat he is. You, you, and you in the hat. Come here. Yes, work for the day. That's right.
Dead on. Let's see. This text message says, Mikey, I just saw a sign outside of a store on the 8 East that said, way to go, Sproles. It's Charger Fever. We're going to go to the Super Bowl. That's P1 Saints now. Hey, Mikey, whatever happened at Cheater's Hotel? That was the best. That's P1 Retaliation. What happened to it? Well, we found it. It's coming up at 8 o'clock. It's going to be on in a half an hour. Let's see. 570-1053 is our phone number. Use the number if you'd like to play this. Now, The Mikey Show presents the search for the truth behind the words, the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play. What are we talking prize-wise here? What can somebody win if they know the lyrics to songs? We got movie passes to that creepy horror movie, The Unborn. Oh, that looks creepy. Oh, man. 570-1053 is our phone number. 570-1053. Give us a call right now. And what we'll do is we are going to quiz you on lyrics. It's a lyrical quiz. Are you the lyrical gangster? And you get to pick. You have categories. That's the way it works. You get categories. The categories today are grunge rock, legends, and...
Potpourri. Oh, I love potpourri. Grunge rock, legends, and potpourri. Sean. He does that every time. He does it every time. He does it because he knows it's going to throw me off. It's going to throw me off and it confuses me. It's taking advantage of my dumbness. 570-1053 is the phone number, so give us a call right now. First up, P1300. What's up, dude? What's going on, guys? Hey, dude, tell everybody what a P1 is. P1 is an exclusive Mikey Show listener. They call in, turn down the radio, don't cuss, and recruit new listeners. That is correct, dude. You got it. That's perfect. All right, P1 300, your categories are grunge rock, legends, and potpourri. What do you want? I'll take grunge rock. Let's do it. Your grunge rock question is? In the song Down in a Hole by Alice in Chains, he says, I'd like to fly, but my wings have been so... What? Oh, man. Blank. My wings have been so denied, dude. I couldn't tell the record from Eddie, to be honest. It was so... The mix was right. Everything just came together. I could tell the difference. Sorry, 300. Sorry.
P1 J-Man is on the line. J-Man, you there? Yeah, I'm here, Mikey. What do you do, brother? I am in the Marine Corps. Oh, wow. What do you do in the Marine Corps? I'm actually an MP here. You're an MP? Temper 5. Isn't that a tough job? I mean, to be a cop in the military, you'd think those guys are staying in line. Do you ever have to actually do any arrests? You'd be surprised if we do. Really? Mix a little alcohol, a little Marine, and see what you get? Yeah. All right, dude, your categories are Legends, Potpourri, and Grunge Rock. What do you want? Grunge Rock. Let's do it. Your Grunge Rock question is, in the song Creep by the Stone Temple Pilots, he says, feeling uninspired, think I'll start a what? A fire. Usually a fire is hard to start with a fire. Yeah. Although, I guess there's a few ways to look at that. Did he say a fire? He's right. You're actually right.
Get it, Eddie. Eddie singing? I thought that was... I'm sorry. All I hear is Scott Weiland. Start a ShamWow, I think is what he was saying. I didn't even sing in that one. You win, J-Man. Get out. Hang on the line. P1JMac is on the line. What's up, J-Mac? Not much. What are you up to today? Working. Sneaking away to do this. Nice. What do you do? Boring office work. Sounds like fun. Where do you sneak off to? Yeah. A little stairwell in the back so nobody can hear me. It's a clear thing I like to call the neighborhood bar. Your categories are potpourri, grunge rock, and legends. What would you like? Let's go potpourri, Mike. You got it? Risky. Very risky. But fragrant. Yes. Your potpourri question is...
Potpourri sounds like poo-poo. Your potpourri question is... See, now you're going to hear it every time I say it. Fragrant. Your potpourri question is... In the song Love Song by Sarah Borales... That's a good one. That's a good one. That not going to write you a love song? Is that the one? She says, I'm not going to write you a love song. Because you tell me it's make or break in this. If you're on your what? If you were as girly as me, you'd know. If you're on your way. She is going through a hormonal change. Thank you. I don't know, but that girl was talented. She was gorgeous. She was gorgeous. Great voice. This chick is hot. Sorry, J-Mac.
P1 Taylor. P1 Taylor, you there? What's up, Taylor? Not much. What are you doing, man? You going to work? What does that mean? I'm a Marine, and I'm supposed to be here to do some work, and other people aren't here. Oh, I gotcha, I gotcha. Careful for that MP, dude. He's right behind you. You better stay out of trouble. Your categories are grunge rock, potpourri, and legends. Legends. You got it. Your legends question is, in the Commodore song, three times elated. Oh, yeah. Nice. He says, thanks for the time that you've given me. The memories are all in my what? I was lost. The memories are all in my mind. What would they be, Mike? Of course. I mean. His knapsack? Come on. His lunchbox? Stop it. The memories. That's not Eddie's guy. Who is that? It's the song. That's Lionel Richie. Yeah. This whole time we've thought it's Eddie, it's just. Whoa, dude. I think we caught you. Wait, hold on.
I don't know how you got that one past us. That one squeaked a little bit. A little bit. P1. That's weird because the song ended. That's Buckwheat, man. That's Buckwheat. P1, Justin. Yeah. Justin, how are you? Great. How are you doing? I'm good. What are you up to? Driving to work. Nice. You got a long commute or a short commute? I drive all over the county. It's fun. Are you on that eight parking lot? Wow, Eddie, that's a very traffic-y way to say that. Sitting out there on that parking lot, buddy. Nuts to butts, I heard. Yeah, that's what I heard. Dude, your categories are Legends, Potpourri, and Grunge Rock. What do you want? Oh, Grunge Rock. All right. Your Grunge Rock question is, in the song Better Man by Pearl Jam, he says, she dreams in color, she dreams in what? Dreams in red. Yeah! Now that's his tone. Oh, yeah. You just won, Justin. Hang on the line. You just get spit right out of your head. You're so kidding. That's crazy. You're so kidding. You're so kidding. Dude, you got the best barrels ever, dude. Here's Hotel. And it's next. I want to let you guys know how much I really appreciate your show. I try to catch every minute. You guys are the best. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. Thank you very much.

That place, it had changed since I'd last been there. I went to the one in Encinitas and they are just so state of the art. They do have the screens on the machines and everything, but they've also got these things that adapt to your iPod. They've got a deal that some of the machines will wirelessly pick up your monitors that you're wearing, like the little heart monitors, and transmit the data to the machine. This stuff's coming a long way. My trainer.
at Encinitas is Wendy. And she's awesome. So if you're going to ask for somebody when you go there, ask for Wendy. She's my girl. And she's good. She's good, man. She knocked me into shape the last time we did this and we're doing it. And I've lost a lot of weight since I last saw her. And so now working out, I told her I want to get strong and I want to lose some more weight. And so I'm telling you, man, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I really wouldn't. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Frogs Fitness. Is Progressive.com an auto insurance utopia? Well, what else would you call a place that can save you hundreds when you switch? And even more if you're a good driver. Featuring Mikey. I'm 36 years old. I have a sensitivity to sugar. I'm dumb. I can't be a doctor. You are a doctor. Just because I like to be sensitive of other people's feelings. But it doesn't do any good. Sean. I'm fair when it comes to tipping. Boston Rob. Everybody enjoys a good thumbs up once in a while. And Ashley. I'm really bad at describing things.
On Rock 105.3. For those of you keeping score at home and first guy, because she has no idea. I want her to love yellow, and it's just not happening. She considers them 70s opera. It's 751. Prosecutors in Louisiana have agreed to drop charges against actors Jeffrey Wright and Josh Brolin, stemming from a bar fight last year. Rob, what's up with your Celtics, man? They lost for the fifth time in seven games. After falling in overtime to Charlotte, 114 to 106. Yeah, not having a good run right now. You need to give them an inspirational speech with the hat on and just sort of walking up and down the court. Can I have a cigar like red? Mm-hmm. All right. That'll get it done. So it has been a very, very long time since we have done Cheaters Hotel.
The last time that we did it, and who knows, man, I mean, it may stop again for a while because I'm just going to be really candid and tell you about my feelings. First of all, I never, ever want The Mikey Show to be a show where people go, it's the same old, dude, The Mikey Show, yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. They do this, this, this, and they've been doing the same thing. I never want to be that guy. And honestly, the guys that are successful, In the radio industry and the women that are successful in the radio industry, they change, man. They're adapting. They're changing. And just it's a built-in part of my personality to want variety and to want for things to be ever-evolving and ever-changing. And so for a time, we stopped doing Cheaters Hotel. And the other reason that we stopped doing Cheaters Hotel is because it was making me feel gnarly.
Okay, well, what happens is that it's kind of like if you eat Chinese food every day for a long time. You kind of just get worn out on it. But then after a while, you're like, I could go for some Chinese food. And so I'm kind of at a place where I kind of think that there's some good in Cheaters Hotel in that, first of all, there's certainly lessons to be learned in it. And the other thing about it is that I really do believe it's better to know than to not know if somebody is cheating. If you've never heard Cheaters Hotel before, the idea is people are suspecting that their husband or wife or boyfriend or girlfriend may be cheating. And we will call them, pose as a hotel. and tell them that they have won a free night stay at a hotel. We will say, we're going to give you a gift basket, and the only thing that we need from you is the name of your guest. And we'll print the name of you and your guest on the card. Now, if they say somebody else's name, something bad's going on. If they say the name of the person that's originally gotten in touch with us, then usually, and that's happened, man.
We've been doing, we've done Cheaters Hotel for a long time and it's happened. It doesn't happen that often, but it does happen where they say, name of the person that suspected. And sometimes it turns out that the person that suspected is highly jealous and is suspicious of, you know, whatever, their own stuff. And so that's what Cheaters Hotel is. The other thing about it is that we generally, or not generally, every time. Every time we do it, both parties are on the line. One of them is being quiet until the name is said. When the name is said, person's free to speak freely. All hell breaks loose. P1, Tyler got a hold of us. Tyler, are you there? Yeah, man. All right. Tyler, I am going to ask you questions to let the audience know a little bit about you, okay? Okay. Let's see. How old are you? I'm 36. You're 36 years old. Yep. And are you married or is this your girlfriend? I'm married. All right. I'm married four years. Married four years. And what is your wife's name? How old is Erica? She's my age. She's 36. 36. How'd you guys meet? We met through work. And did you guys date for a number of years before you got married or was it quick? I guess...
Fairly quick. I mean, we dated probably for about nine months. What has you suspicious? Well, I've been recently laid off, so I've been spending a lot of time on the computer. And I have a Facebook. Do you know Facebook? Yep. We all got the Facebook except for Sky. We can't get her on board. Not everyone needs to be on FaceSpace, okay? We'll get her, and Rob isn't either. Bad for you. What are you talking about? You're on MySpace for crying out loud. You have two MySpace accounts. That's right. You got four. You got that secret one, too, that I'm not supposed to talk about. So you dated for nine months, and tell me about the Facebook deal. Well, for me on Facebook, I was trying to keep in contact with a few people and also keep a couple feelers out there for new work and stuff.
I, uh, what, what's recently happened is I, I, I found this yesterday was, uh, I, I found my, my wife on Facebook, uh, a separate, um, Facebook account than what she normally has. And it's with her maiden name. Oh, that's weird. The thing that really has me, um, besides, you know, just being her maiden name. Uh, you didn't know about it? Uh, no, I didn't know about it. And the, the photos. Now, uh, now let's make a point of saying married women. most of the time will put their maiden name and their married name so that friends can find them. The point of Facebook is that it's a network for finding friends. It's not a network for finding strangers. It's a network that goes through searches to find names. And so if you're married and you want to find friends from high school, you've got to put your maiden name or they won't know your married name unless they know you and they know your married name. But she has two accounts, you're saying? She has two. She has one with me and her on it. This account has her maiden name. She doesn't put in her relationship status. She doesn't fill out any of that stuff. And the photo that she's using is a photo of us together and she's cropped me out. Weird! That is really weird. That is odd.
That's a little weird. Now, let me ask you, besides this, besides this deal, which is obviously enough to alarm somebody, but besides this, were there other things that made you suspicious? Well, it's just been since the holidays. The holidays were fine. I mean, there's nothing I could really say about the holidays. You've been married four years, though, Tyler. I mean, in four years, in four years, have you had suspicion? That's what I'm saying. Just recently now, she seems like she's making up reasons not to be home. Like even in a way, like even the holidays had to work around her schedule. You know, so it's not really we don't have any kids, but, you know, she's not she's not really making time to be.
Now, Tyler, I know you mentioned you lost your job. Is it just that you're actually home more? And maybe this was her normal schedule before, but just because you're home all the time now, it seems that way? Could that be it? That's what I was thinking, right, until I found the Facebook page. I mean, I was thinking, yeah, I'm spending too much time at home. You know, I'm just thinking too much. My brain's just, you know, running in circles. And, you know, of course, you're going to think, like, you know, bad things, you know. And that's what I originally thought this all was, which is something I was generating. But then, you know, I see this page, and I guess to me, like, the big thing is also, like, okay, if she's trying to find friends from school, well, I know a lot of people just, you know, over the years, I don't recognize any of these men's names, and it's primarily men.
That's on her thing. I don't know any of them. None of them are familiar to me. I've never heard. Their names don't familiar. Their faces don't match anybody that I've been introduced to over the years. Dude. Why not ask her about it straight out? Well, because she's just, I mean, what is she going to say? Yeah, it's true. I mean, she'd probably just say, you know, oh, yeah, I just did it to, you know, find old friends. Yeah, she could definitely get out of it. Well, I mean, she doesn't, I've always had the gift of gab. I mean, she's a pretty, like, talker. I mean, she's in sale, so. No, I guess, to me, I just feel like I'll accept anything, any kind of answer from her. You know, like, I kind of just want this icky, bad feeling to go away. And I guess I almost need someone else to put it out there. You know, I don't know. I guess I just needed a hand with this. Confirmation. I mean, we've been married four years. Clarification. And right now, I'm in between jobs. It's really not. Confiscation. What is that saying? Taking something away. By force in law. This would be confirmation, the first one that she said.
Confiscation. Collaboration. Working together with somebody. Communication. We got a lack of that. It's between the two of us. I think we got it. Well, here's what we're going to do, Tyler. We're going to take a break. And when we call back or when we come back, we're going to call Erica. And we're going to offer her a night stay at a hotel. And we're going to ask her what name she would like us to put. on the gift basket. If she says Tyler, then we're good. If she says something other than Tyler, we're not good. Either way, I'm sketched out, man. It's inappropriate. Absolutely. It's kind of weird for a married woman. Are you suspicious of anybody in particular? No, this is...
Completely out of the blue. I don't have... I have no idea. No. Ashley, what are you laughing at? Seth is IMB. Other names I could have used. Qualification. Well, good. Appropriate. Yes. Totally. Anyway. Sorry, Tyler. Sorry, Tyler. Tyler, sorry to make light of your heartbreak. Yes. We don't know that yet. No, what we do know... is that his wife has another Facebook account, and that's not good. He didn't know about it. We're going to take a quick timeout. When we come back, Tyler, we're going to call Erica, okay? Okay. Are you ready to do that? Yeah. All right. Because, you know, ultimately, I just have to go, it's got to be for this guy's better good, you know? Yeah. You know what I mean? It's got to be for this guy's better good. You can hear it. You can hear what sounds like.
is going on. But we have done this before where we were convinced going in. And it turns out that that's not the case. So we don't know. When we come back, we're calling. We got an email from Tyler, and he wanted us to check and see if his wife, Erica, is up to no good. We have Tyler on the line. Are you there, Tyler?
Yeah, I'm here. Okay. Got a text message here that says, Mikey, don't have a good feeling about this one, especially considered that they're married. Even if she says his name, something's wrong. It's P1 Germany. Tyler, I got to agree with that. You know, we've all kind of agreed that no matter what, it doesn't sound good. No. That she's got another Facebook account. But here's what we're going to do. I'm going to call her. I'm going to say that I'm calling from a hotel here in San Diego and that she's won a free night stay and that all she needs to do is give us the name of the person that she wants us to put on the gift card that we're going to leave for her in a gift basket. If she says your name, Tyler, then you're good. If she does not say your name, then it's not so good. The only thing I want to remind you is, and I,
I have to say this every single time we do this. If you hear something that you don't like, remember that you're on the radio and please don't curse. Okay? Please don't curse. And also, I need you to stay quiet until she says a name. As soon as she says a name, then you're free to speak, but I'd like you to stay quiet until then, okay? Okay. All right, hang on. Erica. Hi, may I please speak to Erica? This is she. Hey, Erica, how are you? My name's Steve, and I'm calling from a brand new high-rise hotel and resort right here in San Diego on the heart of the gas lamp. It's called the Orion Hotel. How are you doing this morning? Okay, what's this about? It's not any kind of sales gimmick. We're doing this because you've been entered into a free night stay at our hotel. A friend of yours put your name
into a drawing and your name was chosen. And it's on us and the reason that we do it is we're hoping that you'll come and check out the Orion Hotel and enjoy it and want to come back and there's no purchase necessary. A friend of mine put me in a raffle and I won a free night at a hotel. That's what you're saying? A friend of yours put your name into a raffle and your name was drawn and now you have a free night stay at the Orion Hotel. Have you heard of us? I think so. It's a special promotion that we're doing. And it's just for San Diegans. And like I said, we're doing it just to get the word out. Is it going to be like I have to watch a timeshare video or something? No timeshare. There's no timeshare involved with it at all. And what you will do, what you will be responsible for is minibar, phone calls, movies, that kind of stuff. You got a free night stay on us. But anything that you purchase is on you.
When you check into the hotel, we'll take a credit card for a deposit that you will get back. But it's just for minibar, phone calls, movies, that stuff, incidentals. It's non-transferable, so you can't give it to somebody. But other than that, you're not going to be charged for anything. But you would need to use the night stay yourself. Okay. And we're also going to give you a gift basket. When you arrive at the room, we're going to leave a gift basket for you. Okay. So you'll have champagne and chocolates and fresh strawberries, and it's a pretty nice arrangement. And congratulations. Okay, thanks. Now what we're going to do is we're going to leave the gift basket for you there in the room, and what we do is we leave a personalized card in the gift basket, and we have your name, and we just need the name of your guest. Put Rob's name. Rob. Erica, I need to tell you that this is Mikey from Rock 105, and you're on the Mikey Show, and your husband, Tyler, is on the line. He got a hold of us because he was concerned that you were cheating. I don't... Who is Rob? I...
Erica? What's wrong with Tyler? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with me? You're meeting strange men in a hotel room when you're married to me, and you're telling me I'm behaving strange? You're not meeting strange men in a hotel room. Who is Rob, then? Who is Rob? Who is Rob? Is this on the radio right now? Yeah, we are, and I want to remind both of you. We're on the radio, Erica. These people called you because I asked them to. I want to remind both of you. Why are you meeting him in a hotel room? Erica, I just want to remind both of you to please watch your language. And Tyler, the reason that Tyler wrote us is because he said that he discovered a Facebook account that you've opened using only your maiden name that he didn't know about. Oh, my God. Everybody does that. Well, I'm sorry, not everybody. All women do that who are married. They don't. They try and get a son from childhood and from, like, high school. That's like the whole fun of Facebook, looking at people you knew when you were little. Why do you have two accounts? Because one with my name so people can recognize my name who know me as married. One so people can recognize my name of people who knew me before I was married. Which you didn't include in this new page that you are married, and then the photo you used, you cropped me out of it.
Oh, you are so ridiculous. I'm ridiculous. Yeah, Erica, why did you give the name Rob? Is his nickname Boston Rob? Not the time, Eddie. I'm asking. Erica, why did you give the name Rob? He is a friend of mine from work, and I thought it would be a nice gift for him because he's been going through a really hard time right now. He said it was non-transferable. You're going to go spend the night with him in a hotel? No, I'm not going to go with him. I was going to give it to him as a gift. Yeah, but we said that it was non-transferable. Yeah, but you know that that's kind of crap. Like, how are they going to know what I look like when I get to the hotel? No one at the hotel is going to know. They always say things are non-transferable, but you know you can rent the car. You can say, oh, you know, I'm going to rent it under this name. You can show up in something totally different. Like, that doesn't matter. This must be that gift of gab he was referring to. She's in sales. No, listen. Erica. My good friend has been having a lot of trouble with his wife recently. Your good friend that your husband's never heard of? That's a great... Erica. Erica. Erica. Sky, one more time. So, Rob, is your good friend that your husband has never heard of before? No, because my husband gets jealous, so I try to keep my mouth shut when I have guy friends at work, because see what happens?
He turns into a lunatic. A lunatic? He sounds like a raging lunatic. Yeah, he sounds out of his mind. Sorry. He is very jealous. And, you know, what can I say? He gets jealous over stupid things. Why doesn't it say that you're married on your Facebook page, though? Yeah. What? Why doesn't it say that you're married on your Facebook page that has your maiden name? So, off those details. Like, you know when you go in and it's like, oh, fill out where you went to college. Like, I just... I just opened it, and I didn't get around to filling it all out. That's why there's only one picture on there. But you filled that stuff out to hook up with people from your life, and that's your whole reason for creating that page. So you're kind of contradicting yourself. Tyler. Tyler. Tyler. Tyler, the account that you do know about, does she have married on there? Yes. You mean the account that I knew about previously? Yes, the account that you knew about previously. Yeah. She has married on it. So why, then, Erica, wouldn't married be on the other one? Because I've had that other account open for, like, over a year. I have all these pictures on it, all my details. But you've been married for four years. This new account is newer, and I just haven't put that in yet.
Isn't it tiring to do this? And I mean that. I mean, isn't it tiring to do that, Erica? Wouldn't it be much less exhausting to just say, you know what? Yeah, I was. Because for whatever reason that got you to be hooking up with somebody named Rob, whatever got you there is an issue. Either with you or with the... Because if it were true that you were cheating with Rob, he would definitely say that. Rob's the guy who's having problems with his wife. Right. I have a question. Is Rob on that Facebook page? Is he your friend on that Facebook page? That's a good question. Is Rob a friend on your Facebook page? Yeah, am I your friend on that page? No, Rob's not. Because if that's for people you want to hook up with from high school and your childhood, he shouldn't be on that page, should he? I just said, I don't even think he's on Facebook at all. Okay, okay, okay. This is so dumb. This is like so dumb. See, this is why people shouldn't do things online.
stupid misunderstandings. Yes, right. Like I said, it's exhausting. I would think that it would be exhausting to go through all of it, you know? So let me ask you, Erica. Let me ask you. Let me ask you. You must be... Erica. Erica. You must be furious with Tyler. You know, with what... Yeah, what with embarrassing you this way and... He just come up to me and talk to me to my face. I know it. I know it. So, Erica. So, Erica. Hang on. So, please. Erica. Erica. She's really on one. He sounds like a peach, Tyler. So, what do you think you'll do, Erica? Do you think that you'll let him off on this one? What do you think you'll do? I mean, how will you get over this, Erica? I don't. Erica, how will you get over this? Eric. You're going to stay the night at your mom's? Wow. Because you're upset and angry at him, right? Yeah. And so, that's the answer. I mean, listen, it's going to be really, he's really going to have to work hard to win you back. Right? Yeah, he is. Yeah, he's got a lot of explaining to do, doesn't he, Erica? I don't know if it's going to work. I don't, yeah. Might not even work. Because of Tyler. What?
Because of what a monster Tyler is. I really think we need to talk to somebody. Because whenever I talk... No, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Were you interrupting? Right? This is a pattern. You know, you come up with reasonable excuses for things and interrupt me when I'm trying to tell you how I feel or what my... What my suspicions are or what my ideas about things are. I think, look, if you, Erica. There are no feelings about that. I mean, this is where things are with us, okay? Things are to this point with us where, like, you know, our communication has been reduced to calling into a radio show, okay? So let's do this, okay? If you're serious about this marriage, then I think we need to get into counseling. Erica, there's a listener that's calling in that has a question for you. P1 Workaholic, you there? Good morning, guys. How are you? Good. Just FYI, on Facebook, when you're creating the account, it gives you the option, or it specifically asks for your maiden name so people can find you. Erica. Oh. Oh. Which is probably part of that original Facebook page. Hello, Erica. Are you still there? Oh. Wow.
I didn't know that. I didn't know that. Well, you have two pages. You didn't even know that. Ninth page, Skye. Let me figure that one out. That's too bad. Thank you, P1 Workaholic, for that little nugget of info. P1 Croc, are you there? Yes. Go ahead. I just want to ask Erica, why on the new page is he crossed off in the picture? Why? Why is he crossed off? Because it is my Facebook page. But you went through all the effort to cross him off and post that picture, but you couldn't go through the effort to say that you're married? That is a great point. That is a really good point. I'm so tired. I mean, all these little things, you know. Who can catch, let me see, crop, 16 by 9, 16 by 4, not big enough. Apply, yes, perfect. I feel like those spinning plates. Erica. Erica. Are you willing to give it up? Are you still going to? Nope. You're not doing anything wrong. I'm asking. Are you willing to give it up? Do you want to stick to I'm not doing anything wrong? It's up to you. It's not sticking to anything. It's the truth. I'm not doing anything wrong. No.
Tyler, you have a lot of explaining to do, buddy. I'm so sorry, Tyler. This is the worst. This is what it's come to. Tyler, listen. It's impossible. Let me tell you something, Tyler. She's not telling the truth. And you can hear it. And to stay doing this kind of thing, it's going to happen more, man. That's a very sad truth, but I think it's going to continue to happen. You guys agree? Why do you lie, liar? You guys agree? Oh, definitely, yes. I mean, if it's blatantly in his face like this and he kind of lets her off the hook, please, it's like a free pass. She's going to stick with it. She's sticking with her story. It's not a story. All right. I still think we need to get to some counseling. Okay, well, when you can talk to my face about that, then maybe it'll be an option. Your face or your Facebook? Which account? All right. Oh, boy. I'm going to let you guys go and you guys talk. Yeah, great. Thanks a lot. Good luck, Tyler. Our pleasure. Oh, no. Jerk. Can't wait to get home today. That poor Tyler. That's, you know, that position of, you know, you know what happens. Changing the blame, putting it on him. And that's the thing, man. You know what happens. You know that when you're kind of in that mental space.
You start to doubt and you're wondering, and is it me? And you know why? I don't know. This is just my thought. Oh, no. Why she may not want to come clean and go the whole divorce route is because he's unemployed right now. She's the breadwinner. So if they were to get a divorce. Money, money, money. The winner of the $46 million lotto ticket sold in PB came forward yesterday and will hold a press conference later today. I guess he's calling their bluff. Boston College coach Jeff Jogodzinski did interview with the Jets and it looks like the school is going to fire him.
You know what? I was thinking through it, and I think he made the wise choice, and I'll tell you why. Why? Well, I thought to myself, you know, it was kind of harsh to say, you know, you take this interview to better your career and all that. You're fired. You know, it was very harsh, you know? You're fired. And I was thinking, man, that'd be a crummy boss to work for, right? And so you go, okay, but what happens? If I go to this interview and they don't hire me, I'm out because they're going to fire me. But then you think about it and you're like, well, do I really want to work for this kind of, you know what I mean? So either way, I win. Oh, wow. I win. Listen, I win. Okay. Listen, I win. So, I don't know. He might be out of work for a little bit before he gets a new job, but either way... Well, I mean, if he's that hot of a candidate where he's getting interviews with the Jets, he'll get a job. Yeah. Somewhere. That was a doozy. That was a doozy. Yeah, it was. Dude. She sounded so sweet. Yeah, just a peach. Shocking. It sounded like it was going to be a whole lot of fun, right? Oh, I bet that sounds like fun.

Want to know what it sounds like to get a brand new Wii for Christmas? A Wii? You want to know what it sounds like to be really excited as a child? I can't wait. This is our YouTube clip of the day, which, by the way, you can see the YouTube clips at MikeyShow.com. But this kid, he was pretty happy. Cut 25. No, it's a family gift. You know how we have the one family gift every year? This is your Santa gift. Okay. I'd be like, it's just the box. We had to put the gift in the box. New pair of pants, though. Pants and a sweater. Oh, man. That is pure joy. We got to keep that last. Yes. Yeah, you. We should eat that.
video for their commercials. Dude, that is a marketing genius right there. First of all, I wish you could have patented that idea because if I'm Wii, what do you need? All you do is you play that and at the very end you just put WII on the screen and that's it. That's it. That's all you need. That's all you do. Oh, man. Holy crap. Yes. Let me tell you something, man. When your kid freaks out like that, you're like, yeah, how much does it cost? I'll get it for him. What is it? Do you remember like the most excited you ever were over opening something on Christmas? Like getting real excited about something? Wow. Not like that. Whatever that thing was that I got when I was a kid that the arm shot off, I was excited about that. I wasn't, you know, that.
I didn't show my excitement in such a strong way as that kid. That kid there is a little... That kid's a little... They call that overzealous. A little bit. Overzealous. You know? Woo! Oh, my God. That was hilarious. That's the greatest. You can see the actual clip at MikeyShow.com. That's right. So, Apple had their big unveiling yesterday. Every January, Apple does this big thing. There's a thing called Macworld. And Apple goes, ta-da! Except yesterday. Didn't really seem like that big of a deal yesterday. Not as big of a splash as usual. all the new stuff they unveiled. Like, oh, great. This thing's going to have a bigger screen and that thing's going to organize pictures. Although, I will say this. They're releasing a new operating system. It's not an operating system. I shouldn't say that. They're releasing this new thing called iLife09. And iLife is a quick and easy way to say all your fun stuff.
the way you organize your photos and the way that iTunes is on your iLife. It's all the fun stuff, all the fun programs. And that iPhoto is pretty sweet. It was already pretty sweet, and they made it even sweeter. All the people at Apple are young and hip and think the way that we think. And they go, well, what would I want if I had a photo organizing deal? And so they have this new thing that when you're looking at your pictures, you take all your friends and it will isolate their faces and you put their faces like on a cork board. So you got all your friends faces on a cork board. And when if you're a Facebook member, you can instantly add pictures right from your gallery, right from your. all your different photos. You can instantly upload them to Facebook. It'll put name tags on their faces. It will tell them that there are, you know, new pictures in them that they can come and look at. It'll do it with you. If they put new pictures, it'll tell you. It's the coolest thing. Yeah, they did say the, you know, iLife.
The iPhoto part of it will now have face recognition software. So it will recognize faces and organize them by who's in the pictures. Oh, wow. I heard Billy Joel wrote a song about it. He did? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. I love that song. This is iLife. Pictures, it's our life. Go ahead with your Facebook. Leave me alone. Wow, that's quite a ditty. That kid is excited about that song. But one of the cool things they did announce involved iTunes. What? Kind of cool. Kind of. Depends how you look at it. Okay, well, so. I already don't like that. Let's talk about it. What do you got? Well, so, you know, people don't like the fact that the songs on iTunes have this copy protection. Yeah. So you can't, like, share them on computers and copy them. Yeah, yeah. People don't like that. Yeah. So iTunes has been working on a way to fix that.
And they agreed with the record companies that they will remove the copy protection in the first quarter of 2009. But to make the record companies happy, they are changing the price structure of the songs. Two. So now there will be three different prices that a song could cost. And the record company gets to pick which price they want for the songs. So a song could now cost 69 cents. stay at 99 cents or cost $1.29. And the record company gets to set the price for the song. Okay, so I'm guessing, like, I'm just going to pick a song out of the air, like the song Everlong by Foo Fighters. Super popular song. Maybe they go, yeah, we'll give that to you, and you can stick it on any MP3 player you have. You don't have to worry about it being specific to your iPod. We'll undo the copyright protection. And you know what? You want to share it? We're taking the copyright protection off of it. Give it to, you know, you can share it, right? $1.29 for the song. So it's 29 cents more. Well, they're saying that all the songs will have the copy protection removed.
Every song. Every song will have it removed. And then the record company gets to pick the price. So the way I'm looking at it is like some of like the old school songs that nobody likes will be the cheap ones. But ever long. The new songs that are hits. Yeah, they're going to make those the highest price. So are you will. OK, but now the downside to this is, is that no matter what, whether you care about copyright protection or you don't care about copyright protection, you still got to pay $1.29 for that cool song. Right. You don't have a choice. I want that Beyonce. All the single ladies. All the single ladies. All the single ladies. You know what, though, Eddie? You get your single ladies by asking Skye now. Well, not Skye, because she won't be buying it. Right. But you can say, Mike, you got that new Beyonce? And I can have it. I can give it to you. I give it to you. Interesting. And Skye will say, can I have your entire library, please? I'm not shelling how to die. Yeah. I think that's... I'm not that, you know... I ain't mad at it. Yeah, I ain't mad at it. 29 more cents and you get to give it away? You get to do whatever you want with it. Yeah, but isn't it still illegal to file share? Yes, it's still illegal. In finger quotes. Quote, unquote. Quote, unquote. So, I don't know, what do you guys think? So that means I can burn it to a disc?
You could burn into a disc. No, you always could do that. You always could. You always could do that. You could? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can make CDs. I do that every week. I do that. Yeah, I bring in CDs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just saying in your face. Wait a second. Wait. Wow, I forgot. Wait a second. Because now that I think about it. What's up, Mike? I could give my music away before if I wanted to. All I had to do was burn it on a disc and give it to you. Yeah. Well, what is the copy protection thing then? That people can't. Share it on a file sharing service or something? Yeah, right here it says. Sean, help us. It says the technology. The way it works. There's a number generated and it gets attached to your computer. So only that computer will play that song. If it goes to another iPod or another computer, it won't play. Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, though. You're saying that's the way it is now? Yeah.
Yeah, that's the way the copy protection works. Okay, but it does, you can burn it onto a CD and I can give that CD to somebody and I'll play in their CD player. Yes. They're talking specifically about file sharing. Yeah, so you can't like MP3 that song to my computer and I can't play it. That's correct. So if I burn the Pearl Jam album for Eddie, if I burn Pearl Jam album, the one that he doesn't have, if I burn it and he takes it home and he sticks it in his computer right now, it won't go on there? No, it should work. If you burn it, it should work. Yeah, if you put it on a CD, then you... That's the only thing? Who does that? Who even does that? The kids. Cool people. Really? Doesn't it take forever to send? No. No, it doesn't? Well, I mean, because I wanted to get my friend's iPod mix, but she's like, well, you have to get a whole new iPod if you want my mix because I can't give it to you. That can't be right. What? What she just said. You can't share it digitally. Yeah.
You can burn it to something. That's the only thing that they're really worried about is all the file sharing that's going on. They're worried about people emailing a song? Yeah, but if you post it on a site and other people can download it, then it's available for free to the whole entire world. And they don't care about you burning Eddie a CD. They care about the whole entire world having access to their material for free. What about now? What will this mean? Will this mean that it can? Well, this means that you'll have the technology, but I do believe it's still... They're still saying you can't post it on Facebook and let everybody download it. Yeah, you can't set up a Napster type of site, you know, but you can email it to Eddie. Wow. Remember that thing? Remember Napster? That was like the Wild Wild West, bro. I have no recollection of that. That was awesome, dude. Sean. I do not recall anything. I do not know anything. I've never heard of that. First time I've ever heard of it. Michael Corleone said this about it. Michael Corleone said that, and I was like, yeah, next. Michael Corleone did this, and Michael Corleone did that. So I said, yeah, sure. Mikey, I just sprayed coffee out of my nose. That YouTube clip was too funny. That's P1 Squirrels.
No, cold water. Douse it. No. Douse it. Immediately. Immediately. Douse it. Instantly. Douse it. Mikey, if I won the lottery, I would refuse to give news conferences. A press conference today. Is it going to be on TV? I don't know. I mean, I'm sure it'll be on the news tonight. Can I go? If I won the lottery, you guys wouldn't know it. Put it that way. Can I go? I don't know. Do you have an address? No. Can someone loan me a gun? My heart is pounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King infused face paint. Rock. 105.3. Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was arrested on a DUI charge early yesterday morning, but he is still going to play in the playoff game on Sunday. Oh, and other good news is that Paris Hilton says that her and Lindsay Lohan have finally made up. Oh, good. I was waiting for it. I've been worried. Christmas miracle. That's right. I'm so worried. So worried. Paris has also said that she vows to not get into a fight with anybody ever again. Okay, wait. Out, bitch. Yeah, Paris just did an interview with Glamour UK where she says that things with her and Lindsay are fine now. She thinks that Lindsay has really changed and, you know, they're happy and they're all adults now and they can get along. And she says, quote, actually, I've just decided not to fight with anyone because it's really not worth it. I'm Lindsay Lohan. Glad she figured that out.
Oh, hey, guys. It's Dr. Phil calling in. How are y'all? Hey, why are you calling in, Dr. Phil? Well, I was driving around San Diego right now. I was hungry, and I was going to stop into the studio and everything, but I thought I'd get myself some Mexican. food before I came in. Y'all want anything? Well, no, I think we're good right now. I'll have a breakfast burrito. Give me a churro. I'm not writing any of that down. You know, I gotta say, I admire Paris' new commitment to leading a more peaceful life. I have to say that. Is that right? Well, it reminds me a lot of a nursery rhyme that my old Aunt Jemima used to tell me. And the nursery rhyme went like this. There once was a girl with long blonde hair, and she was a girl who wore no underwear. Oh, no. She was a girl that made all the girls scared, and she had lots of boyfriends, which made Lindsay Lohan hate her stupid, filthy good. Okay. Really pretty. Not really a nursery rhyme. You know, y'all.
I think it's quite possible that Paris has finally grown up. You think so? I think so. I think with that being said, I was also recently quoted saying that it's quite possible Oprah's going to stop eating fried veggies and switch to egg white. Oh, no. Come on. She's working on it. Eddie, stop. You want to know what really steams me? What's that, Dr. Phil? Farting under a slanket. Oh. Have you all heard of this thing? Oh, it's so awesome, Dr. Phil. I mean, it's like a blanket, Eddie, but you wear it like a monk. I know. You got arms. It's awesome. Genius. That Snuggie is great. Yeah. I love it. It's time to get tough here, though, folks. Time for some tough taquitos for Paris, all right? No more Mr. Nice Enchiladas, all right? I'm telling you, I've got to give her the real burrito. Are you still in the drive-thru line for Mexican? Still in line at Roberto's. Okay, well, Roberto's, whatever.
Sorry, it's got me all distracted here. We're Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Oh, you're right, right. Let me tell you something, you guys. It's nice to see these two make up. I gotta be honest with you. Well, yeah, I guess. If I could only end my celebrity feud with Sinbad. What? Sinbad? Oh, no. You guys have heard about this, right? No, I haven't heard that you and Sinbad are at it. Yeah, it's in all the rags. It is? You haven't heard about what he did to me? No. He said he wouldn't perform at my son's 14th birthday party. Well, I mean, that's Dr. Phil. That's understandable. He wouldn't do the gig even though I said it was going to be all the cake he wanted. He still wouldn't do the gig. That's insulting. And we ended up with little old Dat Pham and he ruined the entire party. Oh, no. Sinbad? Never forgive you, Sinbad. Dr. Phil. You know, it's nice to see that Paris has turned over a new leaf. You ready for this? Yes. It's nice to see that Paris has turned over a new leaf. You know, instead of turning over to see an absolute stranger sleep next to her. Good one, Dr. Phil.
Hey, Paris, while you're figuring out how not to fight with people, could you also figure out how to get out of a car without showing off your swimsuit area? Oh, yeah. You know, I'm so happy for Paris, Eddie. Let me tell you something. How happy are you? I don't think it's one of those. I love that. You see, the way she's grown up so much and matured over the years, it just seems like just yesterday that she was getting obliterated and exposing herself to the entire world every other day. You know what I'm saying? And I'm never the one to make judgments on anybody or anything, but have you all noticed that Paris... resembles a flamingo. Have any of you ever noticed that? Now that you mention it. I never really thought of it. It's a friendly observation. I like that. I've seen that, but okay. I think it's really great that Paris Hilton wants to stop fighting with everybody, y'all, because when you think about this, and you really stop for a minute, it's kind of like this. If she stops fighting with everybody, if she would just...
Stop giving everybody gonorrhea. That would be a really great one, right? Wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't that be great? That is not a nice thing to say, Dr. Phil. Eddie. Yes. Did you know that 70% of the time, people that say that they've patched things up, they've really only patched things up 20% of the time. I haven't heard that. That is actually correct. Is that 100% of the time? Well, that's what they say in Las Vegas, and those odds are those two hyenas actually staying friends isn't very good. So I called my bookie, and I put $1,000 down on those two curry beans. Oh, wow. That's not very nice. That's not professional, Dr. Phil. Pretty good bet, though. I think so, too. Neither here nor there. Hey, listen, I say it's a good thing Paris patched those things up with her. Have you seen that wandering eye of hers? Wait, what? She has a wandering eye? She can't see anything out of her left side. I mean, she's wide open for an overhand right. Oh, jeez. Wow. You know, even though Paris is partially blind. What? Another fake stat. And possibly a pink tropical bird. Did you all know that AIS still insured her? Those guys are great.

AIS is saving a lot of people money. I saved a lot of money by switching to AIS. I saved $1,600 a year.
Boston Rob saved $1,400 a year and plenty of P1s have saved money by switching to AIS and you could too. Here's one thing that a lot of people don't even know. If you're looking for ways to cut costs right now because the economy is bad and all that stuff, a lot of people don't even realize that when you call a lot of these places to switch your insurance, they're charging you some fees and AIS isn't doing that. And so it's a real good reason to be calling them right now. 1-800-777-4247. It's the company that I have personally endorsed for years, years. And I just, I love AIS. I care about this company so much and believe in this company so much and have been talking about this company for so long. And that's why I urge you, man. I urge you to call them and save money. 1-800-777-4247. Just call them right now and see what they can save you. That was so funny to me that I laughed so fast. San Diego's rock. With a Mikey moment. Rebecca just texted, said he just started school on Monday. He's having a rough day. I just feel so bad when he's upset, man. Poor Bubba. I know, little Bub. Poor guy. He's so precious. I'll tell you what, man. I think it's true when they say it's harder for the folks, man. It's harder for the folks than the kid. Sure. As bad as they're having it. Like, the parents just, you know, we just get so bummed.
when the kids are, when the kids are, so that's what they're telling her, man. And, and they're just like, they're so reassuring, you know, and saying that like, hey, don't trip out. All kids, all kids go through it. Oh, I wigged. Oh, me too. I did too. To the point where I got, I didn't go to my first date. I moved out. He did. Kindergarten was my last day at home. I preferred it. Seriously, that's weird. I mean, it was great. Nap time. Oh, yeah, that is a snack time. Oh, please. Oh, fantastic. Beautiful. I had to rummish through the garbage, though, because I didn't get to bring any snacks. Oh, no. That's fine. But you're cool. It's okay. Orange rind is delicious. Did you guys take naps in kindergarten? Oh, yeah. Oh, dude. Yeah, we did, too. I had like a sleep mat or something. Yeah, that was sick. I don't remember there being a blanket or anything. No. Unnecessary. Oh, dude, it was like the Marines, you know? Like SEAL training. Exactly. It was like SEAL training for five-year-olds. Where's my pillow? Do you remember any of the actual schooling, like kindergarten, first grade, any of the stuff you actually read or learned or anything like that?
I do remember there was like a project to make a Father's Day card. And they said, okay, so what does your dad do? And I said that my dad made computers. Really? Did he? No, he was a computer programmer. But in my mind, he built computers. Yes. Yeah. I remember the text of a book. I always remember Anne Ran. And like all this stuff about Anne. I was obsessed with Anne, you know. She ran and I guess she started dating Dan after a while. And then she became a fan of DatFan. I thought she was a man. Yeah, and it turned out she was a man. That's creepy. Poor Dan. I know. DatFan was really upset. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Ashley was telling us in the office the other day about how she saw, it was a rerun, but it was a...
A rerun of Tom Cruise getting interviewed at his house in Colorado, which is just crazy. Who live there? Who live there? The place he lives at in Colorado. And he doesn't even live there. It's just like a home that they have that they'll go hang out at, you know? But tell everybody about that observation that you made about... Katie Holmes. Yeah. It was an Ofra interview. A little Ofra. A little Ofra. And she went to his house. And it was an interview with Tom Cruise. And Katie Holmes was there. And she's like, oh, Katie, I didn't know you were going to be here. And Katie's like, oh, I'm going to leave. I'm going to let you guys have fun. Goes to say bye to her husband, Tom Cruise. Goes in for a hug. Tom kisses her on the cheek. And she goes, bye. Have a great day. I love you. And he goes, okay. Yeah, that's great. You have fun now. Doesn't say it back. And so there's a pause and she goes, yeah, no, you guys too. I love you. He says it again. Katie Holmes says it again and you can tell. She's like, say it back. Right. And Tom Cruise goes, okay, great. You guys have fun. Take care now. Take care now. Have a good day. Didn't say it back. So then Oprah's in the background and she goes, I love you, Katie. And so Katie goes, I love you too, Oprah. And like giggles, you know, and leaves. Well, here's the thing. I was pissed. You know.
Listen, I think that some people have a really hard time saying I love you in public. Dude. Every time we have my dad on the phone, when we hang up, I say, I love you, dad. And he always goes, I love you guys, too. I really appreciate that. Yeah. But especially with husband and wife or just couples, like, if I had been Katie Holmes, that would have really hurt my feelings. It would? Yeah, because I would have felt like Tom was representing our marriage in a false way. Like, why doesn't he say it back? Like, we're a team. We both love each other. That is a... Maybe he doesn't. Well, that's what I'm saying. That's why I'd be... Exactly. I think that might be a chick thing, you know? Really? Well, I don't know as a guy, you know, that you say, I love you, and if... Your wife goes, she did the same thing, but she's not like, you guys have fun, blah, blah, blah. And she doesn't say it right there. I don't know that a guy would be all that freaked out, really. I don't know. Maybe he would. I'm not a big public I love you guy. With my family growing up, we didn't say I love yous to each other. And so it's almost a little bit of a struggle for me to remember to say that and stuff like that.
Ashley screams it at me across the parking lot. I'm like, okay, goodbye. Say it back. We're working through it. It takes practice. We're in progress. She yells at me. Make her stop yelling at me. I want to hear from you. 5701053. What are your thoughts on this? I couldn't imagine being with my bros and getting a phone call from my wife and being like, okay, love you too. I couldn't imagine doing that. It would make me embarrassed. Really? Yeah. Don't bug me. I do it, and it's kind of embarrassing, you know? Why? Yeah, you just feel, like, self-conscious that your boys are, like, you know. They're going to be like, oh, I love you. I love you. But that's going to happen, and that's kind of natural for your boys to, you know, harass you. But if I can avoid it. But plus that's your wife. Like, what do they think? You don't love your wife? No. Like, there's shame in loving your wife? No, it's just that you're going to get the razin for sure. And even if they don't. Yeah, but it's like a minute long and you just tough it up. Exactly. Good job, good boy. That's right. We're not all as self-confident as you have. I know I've done it in the office.
Yeah. What? Maybe you should get a hat, Eddie. Can you convince him? I want to get him a hat. Dude, I would love that so much. I have another one at home. Bring it. Yeah. Bring it. I got two more of these at home. I love those. I know that I've said it to my mom going back into the office, and I think I've taken some heat from Eddie for it. Me? He just... I can't imagine. The office is a safe place for me. It's a safe tree. I tell Karen, I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. 5701053. And I want to hear from men. I want to hear from women. I want to hear what your philosophy on I love you in public is. You know, what is your philosophy with Friends and hearing your friends say it. What's your philosophy of hearing a stranger at Starbucks going, I love you, too? Go talk! What do you think? Depends how you say it back, too, though. I mean, if you're like, I love you, too. I mean, that can be, like, lame. That can sound weird. Hey, Shawnee don't care, man. Caution to the wind, man. Oh, Seanathan. Oh, he smoochies it up, sweet. Whoa. S-W-E-E. How does that go, Sean? How do you say it, Sean?
I can't recall. You say... It's difficult. Are you ashamed of your love? Yeah, come on. Let's hear it. How do you do it? What? I just... I think it's very normal. Yeah. You know? To what? To say what? To say those words. And how do you do it? With your mouth. And how do you say... Little kid names there. I love you, Kool Deep. Look. You ever tell Cold Deep you love him? No, I never did that. Look, she's my... Wife. Sweet pie. So what do you want? Okay, you're sweet. You're sweet pie. What do you want from me? You are so gay. P1 Mel. You are. Hi. Hi, Mel. I never say I love you to my husband, only on special occasions. Really? What? What? You know, when we get off the phone, it's like, okay, bye. You know, he's off the door. All right, bye. See you later. We're the same way. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. Wear it out. Wear it out. There's not a limited amount of love. You know that, right? Yeah, it's unlimited. Well, there shouldn't be. I don't know. It's not the same when you say it repeatedly over and over again. Yeah, I don't think you need to say it over and over again.
I don't think you need to say it over and over. I don't think you need to be like, hi, I love you. What are you doing? I love you, by the way. I love you. I mean, because it's an unsaid thing. He knows I love him. I don't need to tell him every time. Yeah, but it's nice to remind the one that you do love. And there you go. You do it on special occasions. Like birthdays and Christmas? Yeah, because we're the same way. This box is empty. There's nothing in it. I love you. No, if you don't say it every day, when you do say it, it has so much more impact. Exactly. And if they know anyway. Yeah, I'll say you've been starving. You've been starving. So when you finally eat, it has a pretty big impact. If you're starving, please. Hey, listen. I understand some people are not down. They just don't like it. It makes them uncomfortable. You don't want to make somebody uncomfortable. And it sounds like it might make you uncomfortable. No. Does that make me feel uncomfortable? Yeah, it does. I just don't feel like wearing the words out, you know? No, it does make you uncomfortable. Words can't get worn out. Yeah, see? Exactly. Mel. Mel. Yes. Listen, Rob just said it. It's not tangible. It's not like a blanket and you wear it out, you know, by dragging it around the floor like I have mine right now. He's not a snuggie. Like I got my whoopee with me right now.
has like you know girlfriends that say you know say it to their husbands or boyfriends or whatever all the time and it just rolls off their tongue it really doesn't mean anything well let me ask you Mel I mean if you said I love you at the end of a phone conversation is that really wearing it out if you say it too much it's just like one of those things like saying goodbye it's like you know it doesn't really mean much to me but yeah yeah yeah that's a good now that is a good point let me ask you that When you say goodbye to somebody when you hang up, are you wearing out that word? Aren't you just sick of that word goodbye? It doesn't have the same meaning. You know what she means. I never say I love you. So when I say I love you to one of you fools, it's like... Oh, my gosh. Everyone freaks out. I would love to hear you tell me you love me. But you see, the impact is there when I say it because I never say it. I don't say it to you. I don't say it to you all the time. But I certainly tell you I love you more than you tell me. Yeah, but isn't the impact different between when I say I love you and Ashley says I love you? Because in my opinion, she's an over I love you-er. No, it's also, though, the type of person. There's nothing wrong with that. Oh, look at her little bottom lip. Oh, wow.
So it doesn't mean me. I've been working on that. I don't tell everyone I love them. I only tell the people that I really love that I love them now. I don't throw it. She loves your Tommy Bahamas. I don't throw it. I dare you. I don't wear Tommy Bahamas. Forget it. P1 Casanova. Hey, this is P1 Casanova. If I say I love it, I mean it. If I change my mind, I'll let you know. If you say you love it, you mean it. Yeah? No? I mean, how often do you say it, though? Well, I just say it the first time. Oh. Yeah. Oh, wow. The first time. And if he changes his mind, he'll let you know. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. Man, that is strict. Let the romance begin. Yes. That sounds like a party. Are you married? No. Adios. Oh, really? I wonder why. Yeah. Hello.
Hello. Thank you, Casanova. That is a very fitting name. P1 Tammy is on the line. P1 Tammy Bahama. Tammy, what are you doing? My favorite. Hey, I just feel that if you say you love you to somebody and you're expecting to hear it back, I think that's just a totally insecure person. If you're expecting to hear it back? Yeah. I think if you're in that moment of telling someone you love them, I don't think you should. that that requires you to hear it back from them. You're in that moment. Okay, I have a question. I have a question. You're a great lady. I have a question. What? When you say to somebody, all right, take care, I'll talk to you later, and they don't respond to you, does that make you insecure if it kind of bums you out that they don't respond to you? Like if you're hanging up the phone and you're just saying, okay, talk to you later. And the person goes, click, and hangs up on you. Are you insecure? I don't have a problem with that. Then I'm insecure. Then I'm insecure. Because if I say something to somebody that in American culture generally has a response back, and they don't respond back to me, I don't know that I feel insecure when they don't... Maybe you're not as busy as they are. I don't think it's...
I don't even think it's so much of the busy factor because I've had that happen where I've gotten off the phone with my mom. I said, I love you. And she just kind of said, OK, bye. And whether it was she wasn't listening, she didn't want to say it. And for me, I think that it's more about I'm saying it because I want you to know. Yeah. If you're saying it back. That's cool. If not, that's cool. And that's what she's saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was trying to explain it to Mike. It's not necessarily like insecurities and all that. Yeah. I think... I feel that if you're in that, like if I'm in that moment with a guy and I'm like, God, I love you so much and I'm expressing my feelings to him. I don't just ask him to say it back. Why? Yeah, and I almost cry. I got you. I think you're right. I think you're right. I don't think that. And I think if someone just says I love you to say it back, well, that doesn't mean anything. But if a guy just comes around and tells you out of the blue how much he loves you, that's completely, that's awesome.
I would rather that than me say I love you and, oh, expect to hear it back. That means nothing, really. I agree. I agree that you don't have to hear it back. No. It's nobody's responsibility to tell you back. No. I agree. It would be an issue for me. If they didn't say it back? She would yell at you across the parking lot. It's an issue for me with my mom. And I've broken most of my friends of it. So they, like, say it back now. They know. And I haven't yet. She's great. I haven't yet to deal with it in a relationship form. But had it been Katie Holmes and said goodbye to Tom Cruise on the Oprah show and he didn't say I love you back, I would have been, it hurt my feelings. I would have been pissed. And you know what? Whatever, the way that you feel, you're entitled to it. And he should, I think. He should adapt. Tom Cruise should be like, hey, I won't do that again. I'll say it. But I think the deal is Tom has an issue with it. Some people have an issue with saying it. Some people aren't very comfortable. What would you say, Ash, if Tom says to you, I'm uncomfortable saying that in public. I'll tell you when it's just me and you. What would you say? Oh, gosh. TV cameras were there. Oprah was there. It was kind of a weird situation. I wouldn't be dating him.
Then we wouldn't be dating. That wouldn't be the right guy for you. It wouldn't be. Because I'm so comfortable with my love for whoever I love. And I'm not like, you know, it's got to be reciprocated. Yeah. Poor Tom. What? Sorry, Tom. You're like, goodbye. You're like, goodbye. I love you. I need you. You complete me. Please. Just leave the room. No. Wait. I'm the ying. You're the. I'm the ying. They need to complete the sentence. Let's see. Jonathan, are you there? Yeah. What's up, man? I've had it where I've been in front of my guys, and my wife has called me, and I have no problem saying I love you back to her. What's the deal with hiding it? You married her. Obviously, you love her, but it's like one of those things that that weird guy just saying it once and never saying it again. Let me tell you. That sounds gay. I got to defend. The non, well, I have to defend the guys that are uncomfortable with I love you in front of people. The non lovers. The non lovers. If when my son, Jake, is older, he will not have a hard time saying to someone, I love you. But the reason is because he hears his mom and dad do it all the time. Now, my dad was very, you know, military.
And I just didn't hear my dad doing that, you know? Like, I didn't hear my dad on the phone saying, I love you too. Well, it was before cell phones, so they were usually always together. But I just didn't hear it a lot. And so it's not my normal, you know? It wasn't my normal growing up. Now, I kind of, I think it's kind of who I am to say it, you know? But I'm very transparent. I'm a pretty transparent person. What I'm feeling, I'm really comfortable letting people know how I feel. I tell Sky I love her. But if you're not necessarily comfortable with that, it kind of weirds you out a little bit. And so when my wife says I love you and I'm on the phone, I always say I love you back. But there is that like... I have to say this right now out loud in front of people, and I wonder if they're going to judge me. And then just being honest, you know, that there's that in my head. You can call it insecurity or whatever it is, but there is that self-consciousness. I understand that, but I think it's almost like also respecting that if you let your wife know that it weirds you out in public, and so she might tone it down and not use it as much.
But then when she does use it, I think it's your wife. And if it's someone that you really love, you should respect them enough to put your own feelings aside. For sure. For sure. For sure. For sure. I would never want her to change. I would never want her to change. I want my wife to keep doing her thing. And I'll keep saying what I say back. I'll keep saying it back. And if I got an uncomfortable feeling, what's a big whoop? I'll get over it. I love you, Michael. I love you, Michael. P1 Debra is on the line. Are you there, Debra? Yeah, I think that a lot of people haven't thought that maybe she's just testing him because she already knows he doesn't say I love you in public. So she's testing him on national television to see if he'll say it. He was on a couch two or three years ago or whatever. He's just jumping up and down on the couch. Yeah, what is up with that? So that's what I'm saying. That's why... There he is. Calm down, Tom. No, that's Matt Lauer. Oh, that's weird. So glib. Well, yeah, that's a good point. Like, how is he not saying I love you back? He was jumping up and down on the couch. He's not that into it anymore. Yeah, he's over it. Well, he saw that movie The Gift, and he was like, whatever. This isn't even that good. P1 Lobo Loco. Hey, man, what's going on? What do you think, dude?
It's an interesting take, Mike, because it all depends on, like, I guess your personal preference and understanding with, like, other people. Because, like, I'm able to say it with, like, my parents and some of my friends. And I've been dating this girl, like, on and off for about four years. And it took me up until just a couple days ago that I finally said I love you. You've been dating her four years? Wow. Ashley's eyes just got as big as sausage because there's no way that you guys would work out, you and Ash. Sorry. But, hey, me and Ash can... That's right. So what was the circumstance that got you to finally say it? Well, I don't know. It's just everything that we've been through. It's like we've been through thick and thin. We butt heads, we argue, but bottom line is we've always looked out for each other on a higher level than anybody else in our lives. What was happening at the moment you said it? We were actually having an argument.
And for a while, we kind of stopped talking to each other. And I was trying to move on. She was trying to move on. And she started seeing this guy. But I had the nerve to end up calling her back and saying, you know, I was miserable. I was miserable within the past two months. And, you know, I just missed you. And this other guy has been in the picture for a little while, but, like, as a friend. But, you know, the guy ended up stealing, like, her sister's iPod. Oh, wow. And you got the nerve to stay friends with this guy? Really? She goes, I feel sorry for him. I'm like, he stole from you. Yeah, well, dude, I don't know. My own psych business. I love them so much. Actually, I want to hear your take on it, Mike. Come on. Give me some feedback. Okay. Here we go. Hey, listen. I was not going to, but he's asked me. Yes. I would look elsewhere, my friend. And the reason that I would look elsewhere is because she is attracted to that.
And when you guys broke up, was it her breaking up with you or you breaking up with her? It kind of went both ways, but I think it was kind of more in my favor, but she was, like, agreeing with me. And this isn't the first time, right? You said you guys have been on and off for four years. Yeah, yeah, it's been on and off. It's like there's these things about us that just don't work out, but there's still something that just attracts us. It's a very unusual relationship. Let the romance begin. What do you like about her? She's a wonderful person. She's extremely attractive. How old? She's got a pretty smile, a pretty face. How old? Oh, she's 22 and I'm 22. You're both 22. Are your mom and dad married? Yes, they're happily married. Are her mom and dad married? Yes. How long have your mom and dad been married? My folks have been... Actually, let me ask. Ma, you and Dad have been married for like 26 years? 27? Yeah, going on 27. You live at home? Oh, no, no. I'm just visiting. You're visiting. What's the longest term relationship she's been in? The longest that I've been in? No, her. Oh, her. It's Dad, actually. It's the one she's married to right now. It's her high school sweetheart. No, no. He means your girlfriend. Yeah, no. The girlfriend. Oh, I'm sorry.
Not your mom. You don't want to know about his mom? No. It's because I talk to mom. But no, her longest is the relationship with me. And how long did you say? You've been dating her how long? Almost four years. And you broke up and she started seeing this other guy. Yeah, this was over the summer. And the other guy was stealing stuff from her and her sister. Yeah. Yeah, and this was like at her house because she still lives at home. And even her folks, you know, took notice of it. And it's like, I don't want you being associated with this guy and blah, blah, blah, blah. He's bad news. And he is bad news. He's just, you know, he's doing... When you guys break up, what do you break up about? Stuff like this about people that she's associated with or people I'm associated with that we don't agree upon. But a lot of it has to do with... just are both of our lifestyles because I'm very outgoing, she's very outgoing, but I feel that she is sheltered a little bit too much because she still lives at home and her parents still treat her like she just turned 18. You know, for some people, man, I've seen that happen with some people until they're in their 40s. They're moved out of the house and everything, but they still, it's the relationship with their parents is still like that.
But anyway, man, I'd have to really know more about you and can't do that all in one little quick thing. But I say best of luck to you guys, man. Hey, cool, man. Thanks a lot. You guys have a good day. All right, dude. Mikey. Yeah. I love you, man. Love you, dude. This P1 helmet has a pretty good point and then we got to take a time out. But helmet, what was your point? Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. There he is. Every time I talk to my wife, I say, hello, you ever hang up the phone or I'm leaving the house. And the reason being is you never know what's going to happen in your life. And what happens if you're in a car accident or something happens or she's in a car accident. And the last thing he said to him was something that didn't mean anything. You know, I've kind of thought of that sometimes, you know, that's what changed my whole thing. The last time I got up to my dad, I told him I love him. So you can rest assured that you said that. I know for a fact, because that was a big thing with me that. I struggled with growing up, you know, saying I love you to my parents and my brothers or, you know, just showing that affection. Yeah. And now it's like, if I mean it, what, you know? Yeah. If you know you love somebody, why be scared to let them know? That's right. 570-1053. Text number's 35253. Love to hear from you. When we come back, got some good stuff for you. Wait till I tell you about the new Obama presidential limo. This is great. Yeah.

Yes, but the Worldwide Interglobal Micro Macroeconomic Conference is a gathering of leading financial experts. And you seem to be a burrito.
To Mikey. My wife's name is Rebecca. I'm married up. Thank you very much. Oh, in particular. Sky. Be injected with meat. The doctor in the face. I'll support him for my whole life. I'll bleed for him. I don't care. I love my team. And Ashley. Not. Many things annoy me. At all. The Mikey Show's on. Rock, rock, rock. 105.3. Something's in the air tonight. The sky's alive with the burning light. Come on. Something's about to break. Myself and I built your hand through the darkest. It's the Mikey Show. It's 941. Yesterday, the governor rejected the latest budget proposal. He wants a plan that makes more cuts and creates more stimulus for the economy.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees wins the AP Offensive Player of the Year Award. Phillip Rivers received six votes. That Drew Brees is pretty good. That's how I sling it, right? Pretty good. Looks like that shoulder injury he had in the playoff game here in San Diego really affected him. Did somebody just say pick a playoff? Which one do I pick? Playoffs! That's Ashley's Jim Mora impression. That's right. Well, he wasn't really. It wasn't. Never mind. This text says, hey, Mikey, my girlfriend was uncomfortable. Yeah, then. I got this Obama limo thing here in just a second. Hey, Mikey, my girlfriend was uncomfortable with saying I love you in public, so I taught her the sign for I love you in sign language. Now she's totally comfortable doing that. Is that what it is? Yeah, because my breath. I thought it was hang loose. No. It's hang loose, but with your thumb sticking out, too. Oh, it's with your, it's hang loose. No, it's hang loose with your index finger sticking out. With your thumb sticking out, too.
Wait. She made a mistake. It's the devil horns with the thumb sticking out, too. That's right. I'm my bad. Well, I always did this. What the heck? But either way, because my aunt is deaf, so growing up, my grandparents knew sign language, so when we'd say bye to them, we'd always wave. Why do you do that? I love you. We'd wave the sign. I heard you did do that. Mikey, my husband and I say I love you before we hang up the phone every time we talk. Because we really love each other. Even when we argue, we still say it to each other. That's P1 Deezer 2003. Hey, guys. I love money. Oh, Sean. What an innovation. Wow. That's hilarious. What an impact. That's right. Oh, wow. I really love ham. These are two things that you love. That's right. She looked that pork product right in the eye. I really love ham. Calm down. I think we get it. You said it. You love it. Hey, guys. I love money. You don't need to interrupt. We understand. Alright, we get it. Man. I mean. I mean. Hey, guys.
Hey, guys. I love money. Oh, you do? Weird. Doesn't sound like I'm reading there at all. All right. Let's get to this Barack Obama thing. Please. All right. Let's. Obama. You're so dumb. Barack Obama, our first African-American president. He's going to be driving around in an Escalade limo. It's not really an Escalade. Oh, come on. It's an Escalade. It looks like one. It's got the Cadillac emblem. It's a Cadillac, but it's a custom car. Dude, it looks like he's going to prom, okay? Oh, man. It's a mix between like an Escalade and a sedan looking limo. Steps out with a LeBron jersey on. Whatever.
A bunch of girls in prom dresses and wine flutes. Yeah, and people don't like it. They think it's ugly. I don't think it's... Well, it's not done. Yeah, well, it's not completely done, but the pictures they have, you know. Yeah, done. Yeah, done. But people don't like the shape. They say, don't they think our president can get a better ride than that? It's cool. And he stops, the wheels keep spinning. Yes. It's awesome. It's tight. It's tight. It's tight. Awesome. Banging. Come on. Dude. Get pitted. So good. He rolls up and he's like, whoop! Whoop! Dude, being president. Those perks, man. Shark sandwich. Shark sandwich. You know, and just in general, I don't think it's, like, hard. Like, if we could, dude, if we could follow him around for a day, you know, the worst part of his job is boring. Yeah, I bet it's boring a lot of the time. That's the worst part of it. It's just the boringness of it. Is there a TV in the old office? I don't think so. Good question. I don't think there is.
I do not think there is a TV in there. Not behind, like, a painting or something? You couldn't say, like, oh, I got to monitor CNN or anything like that? I don't think that that... I would like it. If I was president, I'd want it in there, but I don't think that they do. I think it's... I think that would be reported on as being, like, distracting or something. But, I mean, think about his day, man. And think about the, like, I would come up with reasons to have to go places just to be in that Air Force One. Oh, yeah. Because, dude, that thing is the bomb. Well, probably trips are probably awesome. The what? Any kind of trips, any kind of, like, political foreign trips and stuff like that. Oh, yeah, you are pampered. Because he gets to do stuff. That's why they call it the presidential suite. Oh, that's what that thing is for. Dude, I mean, his digs anywhere he goes. Otherwise, he's in the office reading, probably. Policy. Fun. But what I wonder is what his actual bedroom, bathroom, like what that actually is like. If it's in the White House, first of all, if I became president.
they would be unhappy with what I would do there. Oh, no. They'd be unhappy. In fact, I bet a lot of what I would want to do wouldn't be allowed. Can't do it. Because what I would want. You can do whatever you want. Can you? I don't know. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. The first thing I would do is I'd say, get this creepy old furniture out of here. Yeah. And go to Ikea and come back after you've gotten a very contemporary Swedish look. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, go to Pier 1. Back and beyond if you have time. If you have time. If you have time. And then a Cherry's Jubilee, and that's it. And then you're done. And then that's it. And then you're done. Sky would make it very easy on the chefs. Nothing tough. No, please. Nothing tough. Please. Me, they would have their hands full. Eddie, would you? Oh, Sky, what would you go dessert-wise? What crazy kind of dessert stuff would you ask for? Get anything you want. That's what being president means. And I'm not saying that just to, you know, like cliche wise. I mean, when you're the president of the United States, that's what we made the joke shark sandwich. You literally can call, you pick up the phone and you say, I want a shark sandwich right now. And they have it to you. That's what being a president, you get anything. So pitted.
So pitted. So pitted. Would you go crazy desserts, guy? Are we talking special occasions or like every day? No, every day is a special occasion. Well, okay. See, because I have desserts for special occasions, but I wouldn't want them every day. If there's something that I want in the house every day, I want waffle cones and different flavors of fruit sorbet. Every day. Sweet. You could do that every day. Ham. Oh, so funny. And that. Has anybody ever seen any kind of specials on TV about Camp David? Because I never have. That's their vacation place? I don't think you're allowed. You're not allowed to? Well, they're not allowed to show. It's like security. Really? Because that's their hangout, like the fun place. You'd think that they'd show you that. It's Chill Town. All I know is it's Chill Town, dude. All I've ever heard is that that place is like for real. Dude, you get the best barrels ever, dude. You know it. Sean says in his yesterday email that he, through Facebook, found an old friend that he hadn't seen for nearly 20 years, which got him connected to a bunch of other people that he hadn't seen for 20 years. Like the chick he stalked? Yes. Okay, that was out of... Well, no, I thought maybe. I thought maybe. I saw it. Wow, look at Sean. I apologize. That one... Man. He says...
He says, nothing makes you feel older than seeing pictures of yourself. Nothing makes you feel older than seeing pictures of me included, he says. Old, bloated, balding people from high school. We all look like crap. Thanks for a great start for 09 Facebook. We had a real time with that dog of hers over at the vet. Oh, it was a vet day yesterday? I'm going to tell people that are listening right now that what you're about to hear, Is gross. Okay. What happened with her dog. This is tough. Is disgusting. This is really tough. So, you know, you have a choice right now. You're going to either keep the radio on and you're going to muscle through this. Suck it up. Or you're going to just, you know, tune out for a minute or two because this is a doozy. All right. And I want you to know before we even begin. No, you can't. You're on the show.
Before we even begin, I'm going to tell you, she didn't get rid of the dog. Well, I would have never. I would have. I would have. I would have after this. You're tripping. Go ahead, Ash. Well, I took her to the vet, Sammy, my puggle. She just turned two, and I've got to renew her license because I adopted her a year ago. Took her to the vet because she had to get rabies vaccinations. Put your head. You're on the show. I know. I just don't want to hear it. It's so gross. Come on. Grow up, Mike. And so I take her, and all I was planning on doing was getting the rabies vaccination that was, like, necessary to renew her license. And the nurse tells me, well, you know, it shows in her records, like, she needs, like, eight other vaccinations. I'm like, okay, get her those two. So then the veterinarian comes in, and he's checking Sammy out. And he was like, you see this here? And this is a little dark and the swelling. And, yeah, she's got a yeast infection. Oh, what the hell? Oh. Paws and her ears as well. And this other part. As well. As the other part. Yeah, of course. And then they're like, there might be further infection in the ear. They had to swab it. That dog that is already extraordinarily uncomfortable to look at. Well, they think she has allergies and they don't know what she's allergic to. Plus she's overweight. So we had to put her on prescription food to help with the overweight and the allergies. And then if that's not it.
then we've got to figure out what else is making her get infected. And then she also has a bacterial infection in her ear as well. So antibiotic. Did they figure out what's wrong with her face? Stop it. Stop it. They can't find a cure for that. She's a mess. I felt so bad for her because I had no idea. Like, I didn't know at all that she had these problems. Poor thing. I would never. Please. Dog experts. The dog is filthy. I love her so much. She doesn't deserve that. So I told Rob about this website that he spent. How long did you spend on that website? About two hours. Dude, so Sky sent me this, forwarded me. Somebody had been trying to get a hold of me, couldn't, wrote Sky a long time ago and said, can you send this to Mikey? Oh, the P1. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This website, IamSecond.com. It's about all these different famous celebrities that have gotten saved, but Brian Head Welch is on there. And it's videos of them that are done really slick. I've never seen anything so compelling and so slick and so well done. And I still haven't seen the one that, like Rob's got this favorite one that talks about war. Yeah, it's the war one. And I haven't seen it, but I was sending it to a few people.
And Rob mentioned it in his yesterday email. And it's an incredible website. Like, you're going to spend time there. It's called IamSecond.com. And just, you know, all it is is their stories. They just give their testimony. And so Brian Head Welch walks through. you know, his life with corn and what happened that got him, you know, and how addicted to meth he was and what happened at the moment that he gave his life over to God. And, you know, he's talking about like, dude, it's a trip. Like he talks about how he would only snort with a hundred dollar bills because it was like a pride thing. And how he was like, he, like he was talking about how, when he would put the rails out, you know, with a credit card and stuff. And, um, he says, uh, Oh, he says that this one morning he was just tripping out and he had just done, he used to hate his ex-wife because his ex-wife was a meth addict. And he was so angry at her for leaving their kid and stuff. And he hated her for it. And then he found himself being the exact same guy. And he said one morning he woke up and he's like, he's eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, doing a line of meth with this $100 bill. And he's watching his daughter run around and she's singing.
All Day I Dream About Sex from Korn. And he's just like, he said that his head was spinning. Like, he just couldn't believe what his life was. He turned into everything that... He hated. And he was just like, what is going on in my life? But he's on there. Josh Hamilton. Dude, Josh Hamilton is on there telling his story. And these, like, he had these crazy dreams about fighting with the devil. And he said, dude, it's like it makes the hair on your arm stand up. He had these dreams about fighting with the devil. And he was so scared that he got up and he said that he was at the time staying at like his grandmother's 25 years old, staying at his grandmother's house because he was so because he was so freaked out. And he said that he knocked on her door and he asked his he goes, I'm a 25 year old man. I'm asking my grandmother if I can sleep with her because I was so scared. Whoa. It's just crazy, crazy, crazy, incredibly powerful. Iamsecond.com. Hey, Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. KIO! KIO! Welcome back. Zeth's car got repossessed? What? Are you serious? Who would want that piece of junk? The lean holder? How did you get to work? My roommate. Are you serious? Do you have to laugh? Say my roommate.
Hey, you know, I got to find you where I can. How many times, Seth? That's the first time it's actually been repoed. Well, yeah, but I mean. One for one. Jeez. My goodness. So now what? I don't know. I really don't. How much do you owe? Too much. On that piece of junk? Yeah, it's a piece of junk. That's the thing. Like, I fell behind on the payments because things, you know, come up. So I fell behind, and what I fell behind isn't worth what the car is, so why get it out, you know? Yeah. So are you going to ride a bike? I don't understand. I don't know. Or some buggy. Yeah, he owes more money on the car than the car is worth. We understand. Well, Mike said he didn't understand. He understands, but we don't understand how he's going to get to work now. Well, he's going to buy a car that's cheaper. Well, no, he's not. He's really not. I mean, he should buy a car. Well, I will once I have enough money, too, but right now, nah. Well, she just said I was going to get to work. It could work. Or some buggy. Yeah, dude. I heard it makes you sick, though. Sometimes. Depends. If you're susceptible to that. Right. The motion sickness. Yeah, Casey's. Guys, Casey's. Casey's. Sorry? Yeah. Mic to the mouth. Wouldn't she be riding in the buggy?
That's a good point. Run on the horse. What was that? That was Casey. What was that? Casey. Casey? Oh, my God. What are you making those days? Oh, God. That was weird. Freaked out. Sometimes when he performs live, his nerves get the best of him. Freaked out. Poor Luke. He's performing. Casey. There you go, Seth. That's right. That made you feel better. You'd be on a horse and buggy ride. It's safety. CopyPod on the internet, $30 to purchase, and you can actually take other people's iTunes songs and add them to your library without losing your own. Oh, doesn't sound legal. Mikey, my husband can't start his day right unless I say I love you and kiss his cheek before I leave for work daily. That's different from my husband, who told me, no need to wake me up and say goodbye. You can just leave. I'm good. I'm good.
Thank you. Very sweet, but I am not necessary. My wife would love for me to do that, and I have a weird psychological thing with it. She would love for you to say goodbye in the morning? Love for me to give her a kiss and say goodbye. And what's your deal? It's so weird that I have this fear that if, God forbid, I ever lost her, that that would kill me even more. that I couldn't do that every day. So I can't do it. Oh, wow. Wow. I know. Wow. It's a psychological thing. Wow. I couldn't. Live in the moment, bro. Eddie, for real, I read something like that the other day. Honestly, I read this thing that was like, it was saying, you know, to not obsess about your past or your future. Oh, yeah. Which I don't necessarily obsess too much about the past anymore. But I do trip out about my future. Oh, yeah. You know, I will trip out about my future and irrational things like that. You know, I don't really trip out about the rational. You're losing out on something kind of cool. Yeah. You know, and I know that logically, but I have it's obviously it's a fear. Yeah. It's a fear that I wouldn't I couldn't bear that. I couldn't bear it, you know. And so in my head, I'm doing my best to preserve myself.
I've only told this to a shrink. There you go. And now just us. Yeah, and now just you guys, right? I won't tell anybody. Don't tell anybody that, guys. I'd appreciate it if you guys would just keep that between us. Let's see. Seriously, how funny would it be for Rob to ask the new millionaire to borrow five bucks? That's P1 Crigus. Why else would I go down there? That's right. Five? I have $100,000. You should be asking for more than five. You helped your friend Zeth out. Yeah. Yeah. Listen, the person that won the lottery is going to be having a lot of people ask him for money. They're holding a press conference. That's not smart. That's asking for it. To have people ask. Yeah. I got to figure out where this is. You've been robbed. Why would anybody do that? No. Because they want to be on the news? 15 minutes. I won? Yeah.
They're 15 minutes? Man, dude, that is bad. Well, I'm sure the lottery wants them to do that. Yeah, for sure. It puts a face to the winning and more people think, oh, that could be me. Let me go buy my lotto tickets. You're right. I got tickets in my pocket right now. Do you? Oh, yeah, dude. Just one, right? Yeah. How many picks are on that one ticket? Just one. I get lottery tickets every once in a while. I'll get a lotto. But I just buy one. One quick pick. Yeah, not me. See, I don't think if I get five of them, it's going to make my odds better. I really don't. But that's how odds work. But, Skye, the odds are so against you. Well, yeah, but they get better the more you buy. Okay, well, then that means that we should be buying $200,000. If you could afford it. No! Well, yeah. But that's... Your chances are astronomical. Have you seen, ever seen... Is that a word? Astronomical? No. Willy Wonka, the chocolate factory dude, and he bought all those candy bars and guess he found it. You know what I'm saying? That's true. He found it. Remember when that happened in the 60s? Veruca Salt did that. Yeah. She wanted it now, Daddy. I want it now, doesn't it? That's Heath Ledger, recast. Oh, shit, it was Salt. Oh, wow.
That completely changed that movie. Mikey, thanks for making me late for work this morning. I couldn't get out of my car until Cheaters Hotel was over. So worth it. That's P1 John. Mikey, be yourself. The people who matter don't care and the people who care don't matter. P1 Gamer. I have that on the t-shirt. It does? Yeah. See, I was thinking it didn't, but you convinced me. Yeah, the people who matter don't give a rip if you sound stupid or not. And the people who don't matter, they're the ones who will tease you. But you shouldn't care. Yeah, you shouldn't care. Because they don't matter. Because they don't matter, bro. What? Getting pitted. So pitted. This text says, Mikey, I would be more than willing to carpool with Zeth on my motorcycle. Signed, Dr. Wayne. Oh, good. You're all taken care of there. There you go. Let's hold tighter. I don't want to fall off. I think we might be close to done. I have to make another admission. Yeah, well, my brother Mark watches terrible movies. It's like Sean, yeah. Okay, come on.
But my brother, Mark, he will watch chick flicks, too. He'll watch everything. Rom-coms? Yes, rom-coms. What is that? Romantic comedy. Rom-coms. I didn't know. I'm sorry. I'll watch the rom-coms. I love rom-coms. Well, I do not. I do not like them. You're missing out, man. I do not like them. So you're not going to go see Bride Wars on Friday? Well, I'm not. I'm not, but that's what I was going to tell you. So we're my brother, Steve, when we're at his place in Phoenix over the Christmas holiday, he's got Apple TV and we're looking at trailers, which in and of itself was such a like exercise in patience because Mark has to have what he wants, you know? And so like. You've got to watch exactly the trailers that he wants. And you don't want to. You want to watch what you want to watch. You want to watch what everybody wants to watch. There's no vocal say from everyone. My niece is yelling out, let's watch this one. And I'm like, yeah. And my mom goes, yeah. And Mark's like, no, no. Put it on, blah, blah. And he will just badger you until you watch it. That's not fun. Oh, it's not fun. But anyway, so he says he wants to see the Bride Wars trailer.
Why? Because he's seen it, and he wants to show us all how great it is. And I'm like, oh, man, come on. No. It was funny. It was funny. I'm telling you, I found a part of it funny. And when it first started, I thought, that's stupid. Okay, and then it got to a part, and I went, ah, I actually laughed. I said, okay, you know, that was funny. Now, I won't go see it. I won't go see it. I won't pay money to go see it, but the scene seemed kind of funny to me. You know how I know you're gay? I love those actresses. I know how you want to be like Seacrest, but that's too much. I don't want to. I don't want to. Way too much. I would like to be Seacrest. There's a difference between wanting to see the movie and thinking a part was funny. I thought a part was funny. That's all. Don't judge. Too late. So guess who Barack Obama is considering for Surgeon General? Skye.
Sanjay Gupta. Now, you don't know the name. Hang on. You don't know the name, Sanjay Gupta. But Sanjay Gupta was very outspoken on how he thought that the movie Sicko was a bunch of lies and not true, which I thought that. It's interesting. Well, Sanjay Gupta is like a celebrity medical reporter. He's like the medical reporter for CNN. You see him like on TV all the time. So he's kind of like a celebrity. Yeah. And he's a CNN correspondent for all things medical. And so when the movie Sicko came out, they interview Sanjay Gupta side by side with Michael Moore. And Sanjay Gupta says. The statistic that you gave on blah, blah, blah doesn't mention blah, blah, blah. And Michael Moore changes the subject. And Gupta doesn't want to let it go. So he's hammering him and disagreeing with some. Now, I haven't seen Sicko. That's good. No, it is.
Eddie saw it. Very interesting. It's great fiction. It's very interesting. Sky liked it. My brother, Mark, loved it. Yeah, very interesting. You guys are both Libby's. Kind of opens your eyes on a lot of things. We should all move to France. They got it going on on something. Apparently. Yeah, Coco Vin. That's really good. Yeah. It's a wine stew. It's delicious. It's from France. Yeah, they didn't cover that. And jokes are funniest when I have to explain them. But, listen, you know, I have to say, it seems like Barack Obama, in appointing some people, is making some very controversial. Yeah, a lot of people don't like his choices. Yeah, he's bucking the system big time. He really is bucking the system. So, we'll see how that turns out. Was he making fun of me right now? What? No. What? He is. I wasn't. Did you guys hear about the six-year-old in Virginia that missed the school bus and decided he wanted to take the car instead? Oh, that's always good. No. How is he going to get there? Well, who amongst us hasn't done that? Shut up. Did it all go okay, Sky? Did he get to school okay? Oh, no. Oh, it didn't go well. No. It didn't? No. What happened? So that guy can drive, but Zeph can't. Yes. That guy's got a car. Yeah. That six-year-old had a car. Yeah, he's fine.
So he missed the school bus and he went in and stole his roommate's key. Yes. Wow. While she was sleeping and, yeah, took the car and I guess ran off the road several times before he finally ended up hitting an embankment and a utility pole. Yeah, but luckily he only suffered minor injuries. Wow. Goodness, he's okay. Yeah, seriously. It's crazy. I was afraid of driving when I was six. I didn't like that little kid. He was out there. Good times. It's safety. Eddie, there's a study that was just done that can predict if you're more likely to have a boy or a girl. Really? Yes. How do you find out? As an expected dad. Skye, what does he do? What does Eddie need to do? Well, you know, they say that it's like a 50-50 shot, you know, with your X and your Y chromosomes. You know, you don't really know what's in there. And this study went back and studied.
you know, hundreds of thousands of family trees and kind of common sense. It says, look at your family and that'll show you. So they say, look at your siblings. If you have all brothers, then you're going to have boys. If you have all sisters, you're probably going to have girls. What if you have one of each? Yeah. Like me. Yeah, then I don't know. That's a good study. But this only applies to the man. This doesn't apply to the woman. Oh, really? It's the man's stuff that determines the sex. Well, I also heard that it has to do with when in the woman's cycle that the baby was conceived. Because the little girl swimmers, they last. The little boy ones, they die off right away. So if the conception happened early in her cycle, it means that little girl swimmer probably made it up, stayed around the egg area. And if it was in the middle of the cycle, closest... It's basically the intercourse date close to the ovulation. You're so close, guys.
Well, I'm just saying, because you only ovulate, you know, at a certain point. You're a dirty girl, Skye. I'm being medical, bro. Man. You know what I mean. You always have to take it there. Yeah, so they say, They say, based on your siblings, it, you know, will determine whether the male will have more exorified chromosomes in their sperm. Blank my blank and blank you. doing it. What else? The Celtics have lost for the fifth time in seven games. I'll go down there. Talk to them. After falling in overtime to Charlotte. They were the hottest team in the NBA. They only had like one loss and then all of a sudden they've just Falling off the map. They suck. No, we don't suck. You lost to Charlotte. We're having a little bump in the road. That's all. We're back on track. They're terrible. We're not terrible. That's a lie. San Diego Police Department is warning people. Don't carry replica guns. Okay. What am I going to do with my replica gun? Now what am I supposed to do with it? Replicate it.
I guess they're issuing this warning because of over the weekend, a man called the police saying he saw a man walking down the street with a gun in La Jolla. And then the officers responded. They brought out the helicopter. There was another call about seeing somebody else with a gun. The helicopter is like chasing these people around. Well, it turns out it was two kids and they had these little BB guns that looked like handguns. And so they're saying, hey, no. You'll shoot your eye out. You'll shoot your eye out. They shouldn't make them look like that. Toy guns should be blue and red. Yeah. Orange. For sure. Alyssa Milano is engaged to her agent. Whoa. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Look at that. She's pretty. Yeah, they got engaged in the middle of December and just officially announced it. Samantha. Samantha. Angela. Hey, Rob, how come people from the East Coast, they say Angela instead of Angela? Why do they do that? They put cars at the end of a lot of things, like soda. Soda? Why do they do that? I don't know. Well said. Not very smart. What? I don't know why I'm asking. Yeah, it's a question. We're very smart. We got Harvard back there. Let's see. He's smart. We founded this country. Don't look at me like that. Calm down. Calm down. It was just closer to Europe. Yeah. The East Coast was closer. Geography.
That's right. Brad Pitt's defending Angie and says that she is not a homewrecker. Yeah, Brad does an interview in the latest issue of W Magazine where he says, people don't understand that when they filmed Mr. and Mrs. Smith, it took like a year to film the whole movie, and they were still filming when him and Jen split up, so there doesn't mean there's some sort of creepy affair. What? He says he's very proud of the way he handled it, and it was very respectful. Yeah, Jen feels that way, too. I'm sure. I am sure. Oh, wow. Wow. Getting pitted. So pitted. They shouldn't say anything about it anymore. Yeah, you shouldn't say no comments. Yeah, both Brad and Angie should just say, ah, you know what? We probably shouldn't go there. Can't do it. In Rancho Santa Fe, some burglars broke into an animal shelter and they stole cash. Horrible. You're horrible people.
Yeah, it happened early Monday morning. It makes it worse that it was an animal shelter, right? Oh, it does. Well, they didn't hurt any animals. They took cash. Yeah, but that money is going towards helping those animals. Exactly. It is? Yes. What do you think? I don't know. To me, it's like saying, you know, they broke into Walmart. They stole money, and that money was going to help Walmart. Walmart is different than animals. Animals, they can't help themselves. That's why we help them, Mike. Yeah, but don't you think they have more money for the animals than what was in the cash register? It doesn't matter. It's the principal. If you steal from any charity, Mike. If you steal from any place, that's my thing. But isn't a charity worse than a place? Somebody help that dog. There's an injured animal there. There's something clearly wrong with it. But there's not. That's the dog having a good time. No, it isn't. Something's wrong with that. That's one of our salespeople swinging around by a rubber toy out in the hallway. I'm going to get a gun. No, don't. You don't want to. The salesperson? Yeah. No, it's terrible. You don't want to rob any place. But isn't a charity worse than, you know? Honestly, I didn't know that the animal shelter was...
I thought that they... Honestly, I didn't know. They're a non-profit organization that takes donations to help animals. I didn't know. That's cool. Otherwise, they'd be a pet store. I thought they basically were kind of like operated like that. That they're owned by the city or something. They're not owned by the city? I thought they were like owned by the city. Like they were like... I thought they were. Like the water company. That's what I thought they were. It's different. Okay. See, that's what I'm saying. People attach this thing to it because it's wrong all the way around. It's charity, bro. It's little animals. It's terrible no matter what. How much do they get? It doesn't say. It says they got some cash and some checks. It's the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Oh, well, you didn't say it was the Helen Woodward. Oh. They give home. Lost and unwanted pets. Oh, he's still alive.
I shouldn't have buried you in Pet Sematary. They took a bunch of Friskas, too. Eight pounds of Friskas. Great. Now what? Monsters. Stop it. We have to go, you guys. Fine. Hey, calm down. 570-1053 is our number. 570. 105.3. Give us a call. And let's see. Tomorrow on the show. Oh, yeah, Rob. Get ready, please. Boston Rob. Oh, whatever. Robert. Boston Rob. He's going to be... We're going to hoist him up on a crane. Hoist. I got four shots. Yes. Tomorrow morning at 7, we're hoisting him up. We're turning him into a human pinata. He's going to be dressed in Steeler garb. And you get to take your...
Your pick. And you get to take your, you know, a whack at him. Take a swing at him. Take a swing at him. I can't wait. You open them up. And all the candy and prizes fall out. All right. 570-1053. Give us a call right now. And be here tomorrow morning. No keeping the prizes, bro. Yeah, dude. Yeah, right. 7 a.m. 7 a.m. And if you want to charge your gear. Yeah, you're going to be on the news. Represent. 570-1053. If you want Quimby's on the line, she's all over here. Thank you for the board, Quim. Oh, you're so welcome. You cleaned all of our control board out here and it looks beautiful. She cleaned mine too. It's very nice. I got all the gravy beard bits out. That's right. That's disgusting. Appreciate that. It's kind of gross. So I'm calling because I'm very conflicted about Rob's stunt tomorrow. How's that? Okay, because part of me feels really bad for him because why should he have to suffer, you know, because of the Steelers? Oh, I'll tell you, he's an idiot. He actually is a part of the answer. He admitted the other day, I don't like the judges. I root against them. I do. Yeah, but another part of me, I've just had a really like...
tough last few weeks and I just want to take it all out. Aim for the swimsuit area. It's like, it's kind of, you know, if you've been upset about the economy, it's kind of like a pep rally slash take it out on the economy on Robin. What are you doing? No, we want to hear your order. Go ahead, order. Let's hear it. May I please have a venti iced coffee with no syrup and two splendid leaves? Oh, wow. Look at Miss Fancy Pants. Excuse us. Venti syrup with soy chan in the face. No, I'm fed. Yeah. Oh, that's all. Extra scoop of who cares. I will kill all of you. Clem, are you going to be here tomorrow? I will absolutely be there tomorrow morning. Yeah, baby. All right, Quimby. Love you guys. Love you guys. Oh, I don't feel comfortable saying that. Love you enough. P1's belly's finest. For the first time in 09, PHI to the LOI in the hizzy. Yes. What's up? Wanted to give congratulations to Papa Papani. Yeah, dog. It's going to be nice. Nice Han Solo.
Tanny. Everybody's saying that. I guess that's its name. That's right. It's a girl. I would also like to point out that Sean's been hitting it pretty frequently. I guess he knows that the organization is watching him. That's right. As Ashley would say, he knows where his cake is buttered. Well said. That's right. I love butter cake. Thank you, Philly's finest. You're a good man and a great American. Are you going to be here tomorrow? I sadly will not be able to make it. You're a jerk. Why not? What's going on? How come you can't make it? I work with kids in the morning. Oh, the kids come first. You're better than us. It's a non-profit, you guys. Thank you, Philly's Finest. All righty. Goodbye. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, this is P1 Green Thumb. I've been trying to call in for like a week now. I was listening the other day and it was a Taco Bell commercial. I realized, but I thought you guys were trying to make fun of Sky for Taco Bell. Why? I don't know if you've heard of it yet. You guys play a Taco Bell commercial where it sounds exactly like when you're having fun with Sky. I don't know if you guys have heard it yet or anyone called in because I've been gone for a couple days. Now I really got to hear that.
What do they say? Like side of rice or something? Rob. I love how Rob does that. Like rubbing his eye like I'm barely paying attention. What's going on here? What's the pin side of rice? I just woke up. The lovely and talented Missy is up next today on the Nooner. See, I'll request lunch with Missy. You call up, make your request, and she'll get him on for you. We'll see you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. Rob is going to be out there hoisted up on a crane at 7.00. Our own Charger Rally. Wear your Charger gear here to the station tomorrow morning at 7 o'clock. Get on the news. Mikey Show's out with you.
