Yesterday, the Travolta family held a memorial in Florida for their late son, Jet. Florida wins the national championship by beating Oklahoma last night 24-14. Tim Tebow talks about the game. Well, Oklahoma's a great team, and they came out here and they fought hard. And I'm just so proud of my teammates because they kept fighting for four quarters, and that's how we were able to pull it out. There it is. Yay. I'm sure Microsoft was very happy that his little Florida Gators won. He goaded me into a bet. He did? What did he get? Well, he was very upset with my prediction on the air. Yeah. And then came into the office after we were all done and wanted to make this crazy bet, like, for $100 or something like that. And I'm like, dude, I'm not betting $100. Yeah. You know, I don't care that much. Right. You know, and he was like, all right, well, how about the loser has to pay for golf next time we golf? And I'm like, all right, fine. So now I have to pay for golf next time we golf. Wow. Well, yeah, I don't know anything about college football.
All I know is that I'm hearing what you were saying yesterday about this Tim Tebow guy. He's a great college football player, but that's probably not going to be. Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow. I mean, it's really frustrating because the final rankings came out. And Florida was number one. And number two is Utah, who had an undefeated season. They're 13-0. And it's like, well, wait a second. They beat four. Top 25 teams. Yeah. And they're not in the national championship picture? Obama's going to change it. He said he's in it. Well, he said he would like to. He said he'll turn it into a playoff. That'd be nice. Pick a playoff. Pick a playoff, yeah. Turn it into a pick a playoff. He could have guaranteed that. Playoffs? I would have voted for him. Yeah? Yeah. For sure. Yeah. Let's see. And then yesterday, all over the news, all you're seeing yesterday is the bye-bye stuff to Trevor Hoffman. Eddie brought the story yesterday. Like, it happened at 8.17. I remember the exact moment it happened. Eddie was like, just got this. Bye-bye, Trevor Hoffman. He's now a Milwaukee brewer. Yep. Signed a one-year deal with him. Which, you know, I'm looking at the deal he signed, and I'm like, really, Padres? You couldn't afford that? Really? Yeah. I mean, it was nothing. It wasn't that big a deal? Like five million bucks. Oh, boy. Wow. And they don't have to.
You know, they can do whatever they want. You know, it's not like football where you got to. Well, yeah, there's no salary cap. Salary cap. They have, you know, no payroll right now. So, you know, at least let the guy retire as a Padre. Crazy. That's so brutal. But, you know, the baseball, you know, purist goes, well, Padres aren't going to win very many games next year. So why pay your closer $5 million to close, you know. 15 games. Yeah, 15 losing games. Well, they'd be winning games. Oh, is that how that works? He doesn't just close every game. No, I think Scott was right. Well, you're right. Technically. So he wouldn't play at all. Our number, 570-1053. Call us at the beginning and end of every show. I got the Z-Pak yesterday, the antibiotic, and it's already working. Look at you. I took it yesterday, and I woke up this morning already feeling better. That's your biz, dude. Yeah. That Z-Pak works. Yeah. It's real good. It's your ish. Yeah. Right there. It's my ish. I don't understand what she's saying. What is that? Your ish? I don't know. Well. I don't want to scratch it. Then why don't we do this, and why don't we introduce everybody? Okay, yeah. Because there's seven of us, you know? Yeah, it takes a while. Yeah. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 38 years old.
And I am working out now. And that's why I stand the opening break. I'm working on doing it past the opening break. But just this first opening break, I stand to try to have a good posture. Awesome. Eddie is a soon-to-be father. He is 35 years of age. Will be called Daddy at some point. Soon enough. And is your wife getting the morning sickness or any of that stuff? No, not at all. No? Yeah, I actually had another sonogram yesterday. Oh, really? So trippy, man. How'd it go? It was good. You know, baby's great. Yeah. Baby's really healthy and, you know, moving around. Oh, that's so cool. It's crazy. Does it trip you out to hear that heartbeat? It trips me out more to see it move. Yeah. Like, you know, it was like. kicking and moving its arms. You can see everything. It's just weird, man. Are you guys going to do any of that 3D stuff? Probably. I don't know anything about it. They haven't told us anything about it, but I want to. Those images look really crazy. You just got to make sure to tell them you don't want to know what the baby is. We had to tell this technician. She's like, tell us every time because we will tell you. I'm like, okay.
Wow, that's cool. It's going to be cool when you have it and don't know what it is and they tell you at that second. Skye is our news girl. Hi. She is 31 years of age now, wearing a black sweater and no headband today. What? No. Hey, Shawnee, are you having a hard time connecting? Yeah, well, I'm not, but your computer is. Yeah, I can't connect either. Are you on, Chad? Yeah. Oh, look at you. Show off. Me and Sean BFs. That's right. Don't worry, guys. I'll just ask the company to buy us all brand new computers. Can't wait. I'll ask today and by tomorrow. No, by late this afternoon, the new ones will be installed. Now, what I'd like for you guys to do is use your imaginations and come up with the most expensive computers you can. Yeah. All right. Because the sky is the limit. Yeah, Sean, are you guys doing like all these different little money-saving things up in San Francisco? Because Sean's with the same company just in San Francisco. Yeah, it's really bad. Yeah, like now they shut down our computers every night. They automatically shut down all the computers in the building just, you know. Conserve the energy. To conserve energy, but basically to save money. Yeah. You know.
Well, the energy bill is what I meant. Yeah. Right? They're trying to save money on their power bill or whatever? And I swear, when I've been coming into the building, they don't run the heater at night either because it has been freezing when I come into the office. And normally, it would be cold outside, and I walk in the office, and it's warm. So they're doing everything they can to save every penny right now. They turn your computers off up there, Sean? Yeah. In fact, during certain hours, they lock you out of the computer. Why do they do that? Same thing, energy? Yeah, so the computer can't be turned on, can't be used. That sucks. I heard that from 1 until 3 in the morning, we don't even run music to save that energy. Yes. Nothing on the air. That's what I heard, too. I heard that, too. Crazy. Sean's our sound effects guy. He's up in San Francisco. Hi. And luckily, the computers are fired up again this morning, so we can see each other. Let's see. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 20. Five years old. And she is a blonde girl. She's single. And she has a puggle named Sammy, who's also single. We're going to be for a while. Okay. Come on. Live the single life. You know, she's trying, Sammy, but...
Not a lot of hits on the eHarmony for dogs. They look at the profile, but they don't, you know. She's a little crazy. That must be why they're not responding to her, because they think she's crazy. She's got a couple of issues. And she has bread growing out of her ears. That too. Okay. Oh, be hideous. Austin Robb is, well, he's our stunt guy and proved it yesterday. Stunt man. Stunt man. Stunt man. They call him a stunt man on TV. They did? Yeah, they called you a stuntman. Yes! Boston Rob was hoisted up on a crane like a human piñata. And we had listeners come down here and take a whack at him. It was awesome. And then finally, there's the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, DDS, President, and CEO. As seen on TV. All right, Cherry's Jubilee, and that's it. That's it. That is it. No more. Jeez. Gosh. We also have P1 Scotty, P1 I Can Read the News, and P1 Daddy Primetime in the studio with us today. We've got a whole crew in here. Yeah, we've got a whole crew. So, very nice. And we've got your phone calls coming in at 570-1053. P1 Cranes is on the line. Morning, Mikey. What's up?
Hey, a couple of things. First off, I just wanted to let you know that the webcast yesterday was the best I have seen yet. Nice. Getting to see him up on the crane and everything. Yeah, I watched it too. It was real good. Yeah. Ashley always, that's what Ashley does, man. You know, Rob looked great. There you go. And the second thing was, I was wondering if Rob was sore at all from yesterday. Not really. Because you were complaining about your swimsuit area. I can't feel my arms. You were saying after the show you were sore. I'm so tough. What happened? I thought you were. When I was up there, there was a pinching in a certain region, which, you know, that hurt as long as you're hanging there. And the pins and needles, you know, that was... Just a numbing thing that goes away. There it is. Well, there you go. Thank you, P1 Cranes. All right, have a good show, guys. You too. You have a good show. Yeah. He does a show? Let's see. Police are apparently talking a little bit more about these violent protests in Oakland. What's going on in Oakland?
Yeah, Sean may know more about this than me because I just read a tiny little bit about it this morning. But basically, this guy was riding on BART, which is, you know, the Bay Area transit system, you know, like a subway, like a subway. And I guess there was some sort of fight on the train. And so police were called out to the area. You know, I guess it was like BART police that responded, you know, their security force. And one of the guys involved, an African-American gentleman, you know, they took a bunch of guys off the train to question them, see who was involved. And according to video and witnesses, this guy was face down on the ground when one of the officers fatally shot him in the back. What? What? Now, Sean, what I didn't read, and I don't know if you know, was this guy, was there any reason to shoot this guy? Was he struggling? Did he pull out a wallet or a cell phone or something they could have misinterpreted? Well, it depends on who you listen to. You know, if you listen to the guys at the police officers or police, I should say, they say that he was resisting and that he was reaching for something. But, again, if you talk to the witnesses or you look at the video, the guy's just laying there.
Oh, the video. I haven't seen the video. I've seen the video. It's not looking good for the police officer. Really? Yeah. I mean, he's laying on the ground. Yeah. He's submitting to them. That's nuts. Jump on him? Like, shoot him? They just whip out a gun and they shoot him? And the BART police carry guns? Yeah. That ain't good, man. That's weird. Yeah, so this happened on Wednesday. I'm sorry. And then Wednesday night, the protests just turned violent. Really? Yeah. Setting fires, vandalizing cars, smashing windows. People in Oakland are very, very upset. Yeah, it's the wrong way to react to that. Right. Yeah. It's the wrong way to react. I mean, tough. First the Raiders, now this. Yeah. They don't really have anything to look forward to. It's really a tough time right now in Oakland. Wow. I wouldn't call that a good point. That is wacky. That is wacky, wild stuff. Yeah, so we'll see if, you know, you never know with these things. Sometimes, you know, they kind of, you know, do the one-time crazy protest and then it gets under control. Or sometimes protests and violence like this can go on for weeks after an incident like that. Violence isn't the way to do it. That's bad. That's going to get you bad, bad stuff. Charger Steelers, Sunday. Come on! That's right. Yeah! Okay. Get those lightning bolts on.
So what's your lightning bolts? Eddie, do we get playoff predictions from you today? Whenever you want. I am ready. Oh, wow. Let's wait a little bit. Let's wait until 7, but I really do want to know, man. Yeah. I want to know. I'm very confident in three out of the four games. You are? Yeah. Which game are you not as confident in? The Titans-Ravens game. Titans-Ravens. That one's a hard one to call. Yeah. Because of that Ray Lewis? I feel you. Ashley knows a couple of players in the NFL, and she doesn't have a problem showing off with those players. He leaves that defense on the Ravens. All right. Easy, Fitzgerald. Where are they playing, Eddie? In Tennessee. All right. All right. But that's the toughest one to call for you. That was my hardest one to call. All right. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. And our answering machine number. How about the P1 answering machine? Hello.
858-715-1923. Hey, Oracle, it's P1 Maverick in San Jose. What's up? Hey, I just heard your big announcement on the podcast. Awesome. Awesome, dude. Awesome. I got two questions for you. One, are you sure it's a boy? And two, if it's twins, are you going to go the Star Wars route and name them Luke and Leia? Eddie, if it's twins, will you name... Them, Luke, and Leia. Well, I mean, we've seen pictures. Yeah, I mean, the Sonic around. There's not two in there. What if something happens between now and then? I don't think that works. What if she gets pregnant again? Okay, well. That's right. I don't think it works. Virtually impossible. Can't do it. But yes, I would. But yes, you would for sure. Absolutely. All right. Hey, Mikey. It's T1 Kung Fu. Surprisingly, I got a little treat. B-Rob's new yoga poses. I went ahead and tried them. I have to say, the tattoo and the running man are my favorites. The LT was a little painful, but I survived. Thanks to Boston Rob for those wonderful poses. Love you guys. Bye. If you haven't seen Boston Rob's yoga poses, what's the matter with you? Well, lots of people make the New Year's resolution to get in shape, and Rob's helping them out.
Go to MikeyShow.com right now and click on Boston Rob's yoga poses. And it's great. You don't have to go to a studio to do these. You do them right in the office. That's right. That's good. That's the great thing about them. You can do it right in front of your family. What is that headband you wear? Yeah, what is that? Yeah. Soak up the sweat? Is that the deal? Yeah, it is. That's what it's for, but it's actually not a headband. It's a sleeve. It is. It's a sleeve. What is he saying? You cut your sleeve off. Oh, I see. Put it on your head. He's not kidding. I got you. Well, he's so small, you know. He could fit in one of those. Yeah. And I didn't know they made tie-dye tank tops like that for men. I don't think they did. It's not for men, the one he's wearing. It's not meant for men, the one he's wearing. That's so weird. It's absolutely meant for men. Oh, my God. You know how you're gay? Somebody calling and leaving a message about Vincent Jackson. Guys, you've got to be kidding me. Vincent Jackson got a DUI before noon. What's up with that? He wants to out. There it is. Listen, I haven't felt like it's been too much of a gigantic deal. No, I don't feel like it's been any kind of distraction or anything.
The only one I worry about is Vincent Jackson. I think the rest of the team is fine. I hope he's got his head in the game, though, and is going to be able to have a big game against the Steelers because we're going to need him. Yeah. Let's see. What else is on people's minds? Wait. That's an interesting thought. I hadn't thought about that. Well said. Wow. That was an actual message. What about that? It was amazing. Wow. That was amazing. Mikey. No. Quit being a Tweety. That's gay. Did he say Tweety? A Tweety? No. What is a Tweety? I don't know. Wow. I don't know. Maybe I'm being a Tweety. Maybe. I don't know. I'm going to have to look into it because I don't know. I'll go to Dave.com. I'll figure out what they say. They'll know. They know everything. Dude, Mikey Show. What's up? Hi. You guys are the best, man. TB Ricky here. I want to say, go Chargers. Yeah.
You know what I love about pitted is it can become an adjective for virtually anything. It just doesn't. If something's bad, if something's good, it doesn't matter what it is. If you need an adjective, just go to pitted. It works. Get pitted. So pitted. So pitted. Pull back. You feel that? 570-1053 is the number. 35253 is our text number and then the answering machine. 858-715-1923. So you can use any of those if you'd like. Would you rather have an extra arm or an extra leg, Eddie? Ooh. If I had the extra leg, I would be really fast. Mm-hmm. No. But... You'd have to coordinate those three, right? I would assume that I would know how to use it. Extra hand, I could do a lot of stuff. You know, really... What's up? We get what you're saying. Not like that. You're gross. He meant he could write novels. Easy, buddy. Yeah, family show. Come on. Jeez, you guys are weird. And perverted. I know. Sky's mind instantly went.
Eddie was talking about working at Cold Stone and getting more productivity. Yeah. What would you like in yours? What would you like in yours? What would you like in yours? I could really multitask. That's right. Which I think is cool. Yeah. Yeah, I'll take the arm. Take the arm. Yeah. What do you do, Sky? Yeah, that extra leg is good for nothing. I think so, too. You can run the extra leg, man, and it propels you. It's awesome. No, it doesn't work that way. How do you know? Well, have you ever seen a three-legged anything? Have you ever seen a three-armed something? Well, but the arm doesn't get in the way of walking. What's your leg? They got those in the Indian culture. They got like eight arms. In the Indian culture, they have like eight arms. She has a bunch of arms. We've seen three arm things. You can definitely use the arm. The third leg, you can't use for anything. What about the spectacle factor? Which is worse? Which is worse to deal with in terms of being a spectacle? People staring.
Well, see, a dude, I think, would be the leg. Because a girl could always just wear, like, a long skirt and cover up that third leg. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, but guys don't have an option for that. We don't have an option. We can't wear it unless we wear a kilt. But a long kilt. A long kilt. Four legs kilt. You could be the best NASCAR driver ever. Yeah. Because you could have a leg for the clutch, a leg for the brake, and a leg for the accelerator. Yeah. Think about that. Awesome. But how do you walk? I mean, are you in your car around 24 hours a day? You could be a really good drummer because you could drum. That's a good point. The two feet as opposed to just the one. Oh, yeah. But if you had an extra arm, you could be a sensational drummer. Oh, please. You know what I'm saying? Please. You would have one. arm to just be like... Imagine your kung fu ability. You could stand on one of your legs and kick with two. Dude, MMA? Can you imagine? But if you have three arms, you could punch more. That'd be sick. You could hold the dude down and punch him. No way. I'm taking the arm. I don't think UFC would allow it unless they could find another three-armed guy. Otherwise, I don't know that they could sanction it.
That's a really good point, Mike. Thank you. That's what I was thinking. Working out the details, Mike. This is true, what I'm about to play for you. This is actually a true thing. This is a real thing, actually. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. This product is real. When you first hear it, you'll think, oh, it's a joke. No, this product is real. 69. Who wants to clean and to bono? I'll do it. You want to do it? Just wait until you see what I've got. It's the Wonder Boner. I'll take three. Just Wonder Boner scan steel rods like this. Take the fish by the top of this and do Wonder Boner. It's not real, Mike. I'm not kidding you. It's a real product. It's a Bones fish, and it's a real product.
Okay. I mean, when they came up with the name, nobody said, well, wait a second. Well, they came up with the name first. That's right. And then they just found any sort of product that makes sense. Exactly. That is stupid. It's the Wonder Boner. Oh, my. It's fantastic. It looks really good. Oh, gosh. Awesome. Quentin Rampage Jackson pleaded guilty to reduced charges. For what, Eddie? Well, last year, Rampage kind of lost his mind. Really? Yeah. After he lost his title. He literally went on a rampage. He did. When he lost his title to Forrest Griffin, he literally went on a rampage and drove his truck, which was given to him by the UFC. It's like this giant raised truck that has his picture and name on it. Really? pretty hard to miss. Yeah. And he was, uh, like side swiping cars and, uh, you know, was, was evading the police and, you know, just driving like a maniac and, uh, you know, was, was arrested and gotten real big trouble. And so he finally went to court and pleaded guilty to, uh, one felony count of evading a peace officer and driving against traffic and one misdemeanor count of driving recklessly. Oh my. So, uh, that if, if, you know,
Well, since he pleaded guilty, you know, he could be sentenced to up to six months in jail. That's a lot. Yeah. But apparently, you know, when they originally charged him, there was like three felony counts. And he could have spent like three years in jail. Wow. So he actually lucked out a little bit. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Our blogs are on MikeyShow.com. And don't forget, we're doing a full show. If you have sports-related questions, ask our very own Sports Oracle, Eddie. That's coming up before the hour is done. We're going to do Weekend Worry Wart today. Awesome! We're also premiering a brand new game today. It's called This Old Sky. And so This Old Sky coming up.
When we come back, I'm going to tell you about the, you know how the mayors of the different playoff cities do a bet? Yeah. Okay, so Mayor Sanders and the mayor of Pittsburgh have a bet. And I really do hope that the mayor of Pittsburgh loses because I think it would be funny to see this front page plastered on our papers if he has to do this. Dane Cook in the stand-up spotlight. 053. You see that clip? They were showing, like, the other day on ESPN or whatever. They were showing, like, the best crazy accidents or something. It was, like, the best of the worst car. You know, like, they showed this one clip, man. If you saw this, it was nuts. The two cars go around the corner, and they, like, catch each other. They start to roll. The tire flies into the stands, hits a woman in the face. And when you first saw it, you were like, oh. Look at the show again. Look, look, look, look.
Look at this right here. Slow it down. Yeah, that's when it hits from the face. And the funny thing is, everybody around the lady, like, dove out of there. Everyone got out of there, but she just, like, sits there, like, drives. And at the last minute, as the tire is rocketing at her face, this is her defense. She goes, ooh. Like, she's just going to get in a slap fight with a good year. Like, she's just going to go and deflect it. Palmed it. Tires cannot defeat me. 5-3. Let's see. What do I got? P1 Ross. Hey, I switched to AIS. I gave them a call. I took your advice. I was with a mom and pop company, right? Yeah. And I was paying $200 a month, but for no reason they upped it to $300. I use a specific... brand of kleenex and if it's a different kind of kleenex i really get obsessed sky i don't think it's wrong to share a kiss with somebody who sweeps you off your feet sean i cannot go to sleep unless i have a fan blowing on me boston rob i'm a grown-ass man show me some respect and ashley i'm kind of a tease 105.3 welcome back
It's a Mikey show. It is 640. A special House committee recommended unanimously yesterday that the governor of Illinois should be impeached for allegedly trying to sell Obama's Senate seat. Ohio State running back Beanie Wells is going to enter the NFL draft. Beanie Wells. Beanie Wells. Wow. Welcome back, everybody. It's a Mikey show. Our text number is 35253 and our phone number is 5701053. We have some text messages that we're getting from you guys. So I'm going to read you some of these text messages. This one says, Eddie, you can pay off your golf bet by taking him to putt-putt golf. Oh, that's a good call. I love it. I like it. Hey, he didn't say where. That's true. You know what I mean? Boomers, here we come. That's right. Mikey, after 9-11, the BART up in the Bay Area got a ton of anti-terrorism money, so BART police are like a SWAT team. That's B1 Sean. Really? Why didn't Sean just say that? Yeah, Sean, you didn't have to text us. You could have just said it on the air. Well, you're always saying to text. Oh, that's true. You're sending mixed messages now. Weird. Mikey, how do I join the P1 Army? Joining the P1 Army is very simple. You simply recruit new people to the P1 Army. To be a P1 means that you turn your radio down, you get to the point, and you don't cuss.
That's knowing the rules. So as long as you know the rules, you're a P1. When you call in, turn your radio down. Get to the point. Don't cuss. And make new P1s. And listen for long periods of time. That's what being a P1 is all about. Mikey, what was the new word for hottie? Badger. That's P1. We went with badger. And we're really thinking it's spreading now. No, it's not. No one's using that. The one that I liked was the one that the P1 suggested, which is the go-with-all for everything. It applies to everything. We were just talking about it. Pitted. Pitted works for absolutely everything. Pitted. So you didn't like Rob's Capicola? Oh. The deli meats. Yeah, any deli meats. Any deli meats. So they're all interchangeable. She's so Capicola. Yeah. She's so salami. That chick is such a mortadella. Okay, that's stupidly ever. Can't do it. Ever. This is a suggestion for me. Hey, Mikey, maybe with the extra arm, you could maybe beat Sky in the handyman challenge. Oh, that was uncalled for. I still don't think it would have happened. Uncalled for.
That's P1 Bob Villa. Did you see the way he wired that thing? All right. You know, Skye. You got lucky. I did not get lucky. Yeah, we got robbed. Yeah, we got robbed. 5701053 is the phone number, and our text number is 35253. All right, so before we went to break, we were saying that we were going to tell you about what the bet is between our mayor and Pittsburgh's mayor. So what do they have to do if the Chargers win or if the Steelers win? Well, it involves posing in certain gear and taking a photograph and then sending it to each other. Cut 68. We're going to ship a surfboard out to him and a pair of Chargers swim trunks. And then he has to stand on the banks of one of their rivers and send a picture back of him there in the wintertime. So it'll be perfect. He'll be freezing. Humiliation is usually the best form of punishment. mayor will have to do now if we heaven forbid lose then mayor sanders will have to put on a steelers jersey a little winter cap and then hold a pair of skis while standing in the penguin encounter at sea world and take a photo of that and send it back
It doesn't make sense. I don't understand the skis. Ours makes more sense than ours does. Well, because in Pittsburgh, it's like snowy and cold. But you don't ski in Pittsburgh. I don't know. You think snow? You think skis? They don't get it. Okay. I'm sorry. I don't know. They don't get the context of the contest. So that is the bet. Idiot. Let's see what happens. That's ridiculous, Sky. Yeah, and the mayor was like saying he's stoked with his, you know, he doesn't want to be in swim drunk, so he's cool to not have to do that. Eddie? Yeah. Would you be prepared at this moment to give us your pick-a-playoff picks? Yes! Ladies and gentlemen, Eddie is the Oracle of sports. This weekend is the pick-a-playoffs. Eddie, what do you got? Saturday's first game starts at 1.30 Pacific time. It is the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Tennessee Titans. Had a hard time with this game. Went back and forth. I'm really trying to figure out what... is going to be the key to this game. And I finally decided that, you know, the Titans have not only kind of been on a downturn, they've been dealing with a lot of injuries. It does look like Albert Hainsworth is going to play, but he's probably not 100%. One guy that's not going to play is the all-pro center Kevin Mawai for the Tennessee Titans, and that's really going to hurt them because, you know, he's one of the keys to their running game, and he's got to block, you know, all these.
great Baltimore Ravens. So I think that's going to hurt them, and I think that's going to give the Ravens a slight edge. So I am picking Baltimore. Wow. Tennessee. Wow. The six seed beating the one seed. All right. Then the Saturday night game, we have the Arizona Cardinals. Ashley's favorite player. Ashley's favorite player. Traveling to take on Carolina. Now, in this one, this is a no-brainer. This is a very easy victory for Carolina. Wow. Two words. Number 11. Talk about it. He just said Carolina. Arizona, terrible on the road this year. They were really horrible when they were traveling to the East Coast. Carolina, I think, has a great running game. I think they're going to run wild over Arizona and beat them big. You want to hear what Larry Fitzgerald had to say about it? Sure. Cut 53. He's been to where we're all trying to go. He's held that Miss Lombardi trophy up over his head, and that's what they were all aspiring to do in this locker room. What is he talking about? Kurt Warner, maybe? Oh, is that what he's talking about? I would assume so. Oh, he's talking about Kurt Warner. Now let me hear it again knowing that. We know that he's been to where we're all trying to go. He's held that Miss Lombardi trophy up over his head, and that's what they were all aspiring to do in this locker room. All right, now it makes sense. I get it.
They have a big hurdle to overcome. I think you're right, Eddie. Yeah, it's going to be really difficult for them to win. And, you know, Carolina's got a good defense. I think that's an easy victory for Carolina. All right, so we see the Ravens and Carolina coming out of Saturday. Yeah. All right. And then on Sunday, the early game, 10 o'clock start, will be Philadelphia going to the Meadowlands, taking on the New York Giants for the third time this season they're playing each other. What happened the first two? Ooh, I think they split the series. Let me double-check that, though. You know, with that one, I really – I like Eli Manning in that game. I really think he's going to have a big game. I think that – You know, Philadelphia is kind of like the darling pick right now. But, I mean, you know, these are the Giants. These are the team that won the Super Bowl last year. This is a good football team. Yeah. And I think that they're going to win pretty easily. Okay. I think they beat Philadelphia. So, it's going to become the Giants and Carolina in the NFC Championship game, which will be good. Okay. Then, 1 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, the San Diego Chargers will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, talk about...
Talk about underdogs. I mean, dude, the Chargers have to be the biggest underdogs, right? Actually, Arizona is a 10-point dog. Yeah. So they're the biggest underdogs. We're not the biggest underdog? No, Arizona is. That's crazy. But, you know, the first time these two teams played, the Steelers won by one point. It was an 11-10 victory. We all remember. It was a very physical football game. The conditions are going to be rough out there. Are they? Yeah. Are they expecting snow and stuff? I don't know if they're expecting snow. I know it's going to be frigid cold. So it's going to be tough. I've really analyzed this game up and down. The Steelers are a tremendous football team. Their defense is number one in the league, which I think is going to be a little bit of a misnomer, I think. I think that this game is going to be a bit of a shootout. I think that these two teams are going to go at it. I think they're going to score quite a few points. But I think our San Diego Chargers are going to have enough to come out of Pittsburgh with a victory. I hope that that is the way this thing plays out. I got chills. I'm telling you, I would love to see it play out that way. So, Eddie, championship game, you are predicting that it will be the Ravens in San Diego? That's right. Yeah.
The Ravens coming to San Diego to play for the AFC Championship game, which, let me tell you, to me, that would be bigger than a Super Bowl. That game right there. That's an option. Playoffs! Thank you for being big enough to laugh at yourself this morning. If you have more than $10,000 in credit card debt, listen to these shocking facts. Debt can ruin your life. The movie Slumdog Millionaire was the biggest winner at the Critics' Choice Awards last night, winning five awards. As we reported yesterday, Trevor Hoffman no longer a Padre. He signed a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers. Eddie, are you all right with Heath Bell? I think Heath Bell is going to be a good pitcher. You know, is he closer material? You know, he's had his opportunities to get in there in the seventh and eighth inning and, you know, closed in AAA. You know, we'll see if he's able to be able to fill Trevor's role, you know? It's a tough role. Eddie is the sports oracle. And if you have a sports question... From football to baseball and everything in between, it's time to talk to the man who knows all. It's time to ask the oracle. The phone number, 570-1053. The text number, 35253. Eddie knows more about sports.
than anybody I know. And if you've got a question that has to do with sports, call right now, 570-1053. We already have a couple of texts. Hey, Oracle, are you concerned that Gates and Kading didn't practice yesterday? That's P1 powder blue. Yeah, well, with Gates, you know, he's not going to risk any kind of injury this week. You know, he's got a banged up ankle, which has turned into kind of an Achilles problem as well. But he's going to be fine. I'm not worried about Gates. Like the people on the Titanic? No, no, no. I mean, you know, he had the same injury last week and went out there and killed it. Yeah. And so I expect the same thing this week. Okay. So Gates, I'm not really worried about. Cating's different. Cating has, you know, he's got a leg injury and he's a kicker. Dude. That makes me a little concerned. I think, you know, by not practicing. giving it rest, he's going to be okay. Do we know how he did that? Last week, he went to kick off and kind of slipped. Oh, I remember that. Yeah, yeah. So he kind of tweaked it a little bit. I don't think it's a full sprain. Right. But any kind of leg injury when you're a kicker is not good. Do we have a backup kicker? It'd be Cyphers, our punter. Really? Yeah.
Oh, boy. That guy's a great punter, man. I mean, he's the best. He's an incredible punter. I'm so glad he's getting national pub now after last week. Last week's game, I mean, you know, I've never heard a punter get more praise than he got during that telecast. I mean, they put him on the horse trailer. Yeah, the horse trailer is what they do at the end of the Sunday night football games is they name a player that's the horse. Horse trailer, player of the game. Yeah. And it's like the player of the game. You know, it's the guy that was... What's a horse trailer? It's just this trailer. Does it mean like, hey, you hit your horse to this guy? He's so good that you hit your horse to him kind of thing? I don't remember how that whole thing came about, but... I don't know. Whatever. Anyway, well, they split it between him and Darren Sproles. They split the horse trailer between... Really? Yeah. There's never been a punter that's been named player of the game, but he had that kind of a game where he deserved it. He was pinning the Indianapolis Colts so far back. He's so good. He kicked one punt that was like 67 yards or something. It was crazy. When he has to boom it, he can boom it. His hang time is...
is outstanding, and he is the best at pinning people inside the 10-yard line, which is great. Well, hopefully he does the same thing this weekend. P1 Javi's up first. You there, Javi? Yeah, what up, Mikey? Not too much, dude. What's your question for the Oracle? Eddie, explain me something. Why, when you're listening to a football game on the radio, they insist on telling me... They're kicking from right to left or left to right. I mean, how am I supposed to know where the stadium is facing? You know what I mean? Well, you know, it's so they will give you a visual like you were watching it on TV. So if you're watching it on TV and you would, you know, they say left to right on your radio. So it means the Chargers are going, you know, to a certain end zone, you know, left to right. Do you understand that? So if you're watching the TV screen, it would be like the Chargers are going. that away. Let's pretend that you're looking at your television set and you're looking at the guy's butts. Now do you see that camera angle in your head? Now if they say that a player is running from right to left on your radio, now do you see where that player is going? Do you get it now? Do you get it? I don't care.
Well, I think that's the idea there. I'm very excited. I would like to be Seacrest. No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just trying to give you the egg. Oh, forget it. P1 Captain Dave. Good morning, Mikey Show. What's up, dude? Hey, what's up? Good. Hey, I got to preface my question first. I am a Denver Broncos fan, okay? And I know you guys kicked the crap out of it. It was karma. What happened? It was. But, Eddie, listen, your prediction just a minute ago, and I don't know if anybody heard it because you kind of threw in right at the last second, the 31-28 thing. How do you believe, based on what happened last time with the defenses that we have now, when I say we, I'm turning into a Pittsburgh fan right away, what is your background to say that you're even going to score 28 points, let alone 14? I mean, I'm predicting that. Maybe a 14-10 game. Well, I'll tell you why. 31-28. Well, let me explain. The reason why I think it's going to be a little bit more of a shootout this time is because these two teams have played each other. So going in, they're going to have a completely different game plan than they had the first game, which they only scored 10 points. And I think that they're going to throw the football quite a bit.
No, you know, I think they're going to utilize Darren Sproul's speed with a lot of screen passes, maybe some draws, things like that, to have the Steelers guessing. And if there is one weakness that the Steelers have, it is their cornerbacks. And I think Phillip Rivers is going to light them up. I think he's going to have a really big game. Thank you, Captain Dave. We appreciate it. P1 Joey is on the line. You there, Joey? Joey. Yo, what's up? What's up, man? Hi, man. I wanted to say, how do you feel about all these fans? Good being on the Charger bandwagon when they're winning. And, you know, one running back has a good game, but when they have a bad game and when they lose, no one wants to be a fan. I wouldn't necessarily say that. I mean, I think that most Charger fans were like us and very frustrated with the football team. When you see, you know, the talent that's on this team and they were 4-8, it didn't make any sense. And it was very frustrating. And the way they were playing was kind of uninspired. And I don't think any Charger fan liked to see that. But you can't say that the Charger fans jumped off the bandwagon because they were there every game. I mean, every home game I broadcasted from, I mean, it was 99% Charger fans out there. And they were still showing up supporting the team. And, you know, luckily they were able to get hot at the right time and make it into the playoffs. Thanks for the call, Joey. Eddie, some text messages that we're getting. And I like these questions. These are good questions. Eddie, do you think San Diego State football?
will finally turn it around with their new head coach. That's P1 Stahl. Well, it's going to take time. It's all about recruiting, and hopefully this guy, Brady Hoke, is going to be able to come in here and get some of our kids here in San Diego to stay in San Diego and play for state because we have ultra-talented kids, but they're all leaving to go play other places. And so if we can get them to stay here in San Diego and play in San Diego for this guy, that would be fantastic. You know, and he was able to go and turn around a pretty dormant franchise or dormant school like Ball State. And hopefully he can do the same with San Diego State. That's Ashley. What just happened was you heard a girl that is on the dean's list at San Diego State showing her Aztec. Pride. She dropped out, Mike. I'm an alumni. I forgot about that. I'm an alumnist. That's right. If you will. Eddie, this is a good one. Okay. Okay. Calm down. Percentage of chance Merriman resigns with the Chargers. That's P1 Gate. It's a very difficult, you know, because it seems like AJ Smith is not really on board with that. Really? Which is crazy to me.
Being when we saw the defense, how it was operating without him. He may think we have other priorities and this and that. Here's how I think it's going to play out. I think that he's going to come back next year, no matter what kind of season he has, which it'll probably be pretty good. They're probably going to franchise him. They'll probably give him the franchise tag, which means he has to sign with the Chargers. And, uh, they have to pay him within the top five percentage of players at his position. If you're a franchise, you can't leave, but they got to pay you. Yeah. Okay. And so, you know, they may do that for a year and then try and work out a long-term deal, you know, to make sure that Merriman is healthy with his whole knee problem and stuff like that. So that's how I think it's going to play out. So, you know, if they're, if I guess I would put it at like 80%, uh, That's pretty good. Which is good. Yeah, that's pretty good. But I think it'll be like a franchise tag type of a thing. Hey, P1 Martin's got a good question. Go ahead, Martin. Hey. Good morning, guys. What's up, dude? Not much. I was just wondering, Eddie, who you think should be number one in the BCS polls? This is a good question because everybody's like, what's up with this awful way that they rank teams? It's so stupid. There's no playoff system. Barack Obama's going to fix it. Eddie, what do you think?
I said it earlier. I just don't understand how a team can be undefeated, finish the entire season undefeated, 13-0 like Utah did, beat four ranked opponents, and not even get a whisper of a chance at the national championship. It doesn't make any sense to me. Florida, they had a great season. They were 13-1, but they lost. They have a loss. USC has a loss. Texas has a loss. All the teams that were right up there, they all have a loss. To me, if you go undefeated and you beat quality opponents, you should be the national champion. So I would say Utah. There it is. And then one last question. This is a MMA question. Oh, I love it. P1 Rude Dog. Hey, what's up, Mikey Show? Not too much, dude. Hey, I wanted to ask Eddie, who is your pick in the upcoming UFC fight at the end of the month between BJ Penn and Georgia St. Pierre? Great fight. It's going to be an awesome, awesome fight. I like GSP in this fight, and I'll tell you why. I think that it kind of comes down to training. We know that BJ Penn sometimes kind of has lackluster training. I don't necessarily think he's going to have lackluster training in this, but I guarantee you George St. Pierre will train harder than whatever BJ Penn does. And George St. Pierre, he's got a weight advantage.
And I just have a feeling that he's going to go in there and beat BJ Penn. When we come back, Weekend Worry Warts. I have this uncanny ability to reveal things about myself. Eddie. I have Star Wars cereal boxes on my refrigerator. Very easy. Sky. I love the troops. I love America. I just don't agree with what we're doing over there. Sean. I realized over the weekend that I absolutely love the store, Bed Bath & Beyond. Don't.
Dude. Boston Rob. This is the time of year where I become OCD and have a lot of complexes because of my baseball team that plays. And Ashley. I hate to be told what to do. The Mikey Show's on. I hate you guys. Rock 105.3. And the Worry Award 570-1053. If there is something going on this weekend that you're tripping out about that you just don't know how it's going to go, my day just got a lot better. Oh, yeah. My day just got a lot better. How you doing, bro? Nice. The website is torpasta.com. Is that right? Torpasta.com. Oh, yeah. Divine Pasta-bilities in the studio today. We'll mail you one, Sean. Oh, that's great. Welcome back. It is 7-16. Barbara Walters' interview with Patrick Swayze had 3 million more viewers than the People's Choice Awards that night. Oh, wow. Holy cow. The Chargers take on the Steelers this Sunday.
All the action can be heard right here on Rock 105.3. All right, folks, before we went to break, I told you that there is a new development in this whole deal with the lady that got killed. She was pregnant. She got killed. And somebody said, yeah, they saw this dude drive up, get out of his car, pick her purse up, take off with it. He was proclaiming his innocence. And now what? Well, this happened on the 5 in Solana Beach early in the morning on January 4th. And, you know, during the accident, the woman and her purse, well, the woman was partially ejected from the vehicle, and her purse was ejected from the vehicle. So, like Mikey said, witnesses saw this dude pick up the purse and take off, wrote down the license plate number of the car and gave it to the police. That's why they went to this guy's home in Carlsbad and arrested him. And he was in court the other day and got out on bail. And when he was leaving on bail, He was telling the news cameras, I'm innocent. They got it all wrong. And, of course, all of us are like, yeah, right, whatever, dude. You know, everybody says that who's in jail. I'm innocent. They got it all wrong. Well, a witness has come forward, a Marine, who is actually at the scene helping the family involved in the crash. He says that, as he recalls, they had just finished turning the SUV back over, and they saw this guy yell out.
I saw this purse, and then he dropped the purse out of his car on the freeway about 20 feet from the accident scene. Then he dropped the purse. And took off, yeah. Really? He said, I saw this purse, he drops it and takes off? Yeah. I thought that the purse was like, that they found the purse by the vehicle. No, the purse was ejected from the vehicle. So this guy picked the purse up kind of away from the accident scene where the purse had been ejected. Yeah, but I thought that the police said that when they found... The purse that it was by the vehicle. Well, no one's found the purse. The purse is still missing. No one knows where the purse is. So that's why the only witness they had at the time said that they saw this dude pick up the purse where it had been ejected at and take off. But this Marine who was actually at the vehicle helping the family in the accident says that, no, he saw this guy drop the purse back at the accident scene. And that's what this guy had been claiming that he did. But still, the purse is gone. Yeah. So it's kind of like, you know, one witness against another witness. So they're going to bring this Marine back in and the police are going to interview him again and try and figure out exactly what's going on here. Well, if you got two different people saying two different things, that's reasonable doubt. You know, that puts doubt in somebody's mind. Like, I don't know.
Well, you know, because the initial witness says they saw him pick up the person take off. But that's not to say he didn't go back to the scene. You know, they just saw him take off. I don't know. It's very, very interesting. Yeah. All right. Are you ready to do a little weekend worry wart? What are you freaked out about? You got to break up with somebody this weekend? You thinking about getting back together with somebody this weekend? We're going to be doing something gigantic this weekend. Somebody coming into town this weekend and you're a little worried about how it's going to roll. 570-1053 is the phone number. Call us now. Eddie's playing a little trombone right there. I like it. And it's working real good. Have you ever seen anybody play the air trombone? No, this is a first. It's pretty good. It's hard to play, too. It's one of the hardest air instruments that there is. And as you can see, Eddie has mastered the art.
Of the Air Trombone, ladies and gentlemen. That's fantastic. All right, let's see what people are saying they're freaked out about. P1 Jake, you there? Yeah. Jake, what's up? Well, I'm due for this raise, and I'm actually overdue for the raise. I was supposed to get the raise about a month ago, and they keep putting it off and putting it off. You know, I know the economy's bad, but, I mean, I need that raise. I'm going to go in on Monday, and I'm going to demand it. Oh, no. You're going to go in on Monday and demand it? Yeah, I mean, I'm due the raise, you know, and you know the economy's bad. You know, it's bad for me, too. How much are you asking for in terms of the raise? 10%. Wow. And what do you mean you're going to demand it? Like you're going to walk out if they don't give it to you or what? Yeah, I think I may just, you know, I may just tell them I'm going to quit if they don't, you know. Okay. What? I don't know about all of that. Will you actually follow through with it? I may walk out and see if they call my bluff, you know. I mean, if you say it, can you not follow through with it? You have to follow through. I mean, yeah. I mean, then you look like a dweeb. You'll never get a raise.
You might even get fired. I mean, if you demand something and they say no and then you don't do it, then you're kind of... It's worse to not have a job. Yeah, this is a bad time for all of this. I mean, I know it's promised to you, but... I don't know, dude. I think that's pretty pitted. So pitted. Oh, that's a tough one. I don't know, man. I just need the race. How would you like to be there when he says that? Yes. Love it. And just see the reaction and what happened. Maybe they go, all right, listen. Maybe they already know they can do it. So when he does something like that, they go, okay, fine, we'll do it. But what if they're like, see you later. Sorry. Well, at a time like this, companies are kind of almost looking for reasons to thin out the staff. Yeah. So to me, this isn't the time to start making noises. Not a wise decision. What are you waiting for? Do it today. Why are you waiting until Monday? Mike, how about don't do it? If he's going to do it, why is he waiting until Monday? I think they fire most people on Friday, so I'm going to wait until Monday. All right. That's a true stat. Yeah, that's a true stat.
75% of the time. That's a true stat. 100%. Yeah. Well, dude, call us on Tuesday. Let us know how it went. Monday. All right. I will. Well, he can't call us Monday because he's going to do it on Monday. Unless he calls like late in the show. Are you going to do it first thing or are you going to wait until the end of the day on Monday or what? I think I'll play it by ear. Okay. I'll play it by ear. I've got to get my courage out in there to see how they feel. He's going to check it out. Eddie, percentage of chance he doesn't do it. Yeah. This is weird. 99. 99%. Sky. I'm going to say 89%. That he doesn't do it. He does not do it. He chickens out. I say 100% chance he doesn't do it. Can't do it. Jake, what you're saying here is you're saying, I'm just going to play it by ear, which isn't usually indicative of somebody that's like, hey, I'm doing this and that's the deal. I'm going to play it by ear by the time. 104%? Is it possible for me to change my answer to 104% chance he doesn't do this? Now, Jake, is there anyone in your life that you've talked to this about that says, yeah, go for it, bro? Yes, Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Sean. No, I'm saying don't do it. Thank you. My girlfriend. What did she say?
She said do it. She said do it. You're worth it. That's right. She said you're worth it. Well, I mean, if he thinks he's got money, he'll text him. My son has said it a million times. Pull us up and come down. That's the way it works, you know? It comes up, it comes down. So congratulations to you. Call us. If you do get the rocks to do it early on Monday morning. Or today. Or today. Right. It'd be better if you did it today. It's better for the show, not better for him. Do it today. It's not all about us. Sometimes it is. We check in on Monday to find out what happened, so he has to do it today. Here's my question. Scott, he says he's going to do it. What is the difference between doing it today or doing it Monday? Because like you said, more people get fired on Fridays. Really? Okay. All right. Well, good luck to you. And whenever you do it, call us and let us know. We'll see you, Jake. Seriously. Let's see. Turkey. Oh, man. P1 Autumn. Yes. What do you got going on? I have a little bit of a situation. I'm in the National Guard and my unit has a PT test this weekend and we have to weigh in. I have no problem on the PT test, but I have to weigh.
152 for the weigh-in, but I'm in MMA and I've been gaining weight for an MMA fight that I have this next Wednesday. You're a fighter? You fight other chicks in MMA? Yes. Actually, I've only ever fought one chick. I usually fight guys. What the hell? Wait, you're in an MMA league that allows men to fight with women? No, that was when I was in the military. Now I'm fighting women, so it's a little bit different. Oh, okay. How tall are you? Did you used to beat the guys when you fought them? I was my battalion champion. She beat the guys. You are scary. She is awesome. You are scary. Would you knock them out or would you submit them? I'm more of a submission person. I have a really strong guard. I usually go for a guillotine or an armbar. I couldn't do it, dude. Have her fight Rob. Yes. We have to have you fight Rob. Yes. I don't want Rob to get hurt. That's a good point. You've been robbed. I couldn't get in there with a girl. Does Rob weigh? Rob, how much do you weigh? Like, $1.98. Shut up. Yes. Soaking wet. Shut up. He weighs $1.60. Well, I could drop 10 pounds to fight him. Wow. Well, you got to drop weight anyway, right? For your PT?
Yeah, for this PT test, but then I have to gain it all back by Wednesday. Oh, my gosh. That does not sound healthy. Fettuccine Alfredo. That's how you get it. Bottomless fries at Red Robin. There you go. Now, how tall are you? How tall do you have to be to weigh in at 152? I'm 5'5". 5'5". Are you going to make it? I'll be very dehydrated, but I should be able to. Oh, that's so unhealthy. Oh, man. It does seem like that. The worst part is we weigh in after we do our PT test, so I have to be dehydrated during the push-ups. How are you going to do it? How are you going to do it? And by the way, if you have something you're worried about that you're going to be doing this weekend and you're tripping, 570-1053, call us right now and tell us for Weekend Worry War, and then we'll check back in with you on Monday. How are you going to do it? Good training, I guess. My favorite fighter is Vendale Silva, which was kind of sad this last fight. you know, he's oxygen deprived. So can we see a picture of you? Can we, can you send us a picture of you? Uh, sure. Over the internet. Yeah. Hang on. And I'll, I'll put you on hold and we'll have one question. Oh, go ahead. So what happens if you don't make weight for your PT test? They, what they do is they tape measure you, but my one bad part is I have a big butt. That's not a bad part. So what happens? Like, do you get in trouble or what?
What happens is it flags you for the military. It doesn't matter how high my actual score is. If I weigh too much or I have too much body stat, according to the way they tape measure us, then they flag me and I can't go in for awards. I can't get promoted. Wow. What a trip. That's horrible. Hey, Autumn, hang on a second, okay? Because we're going to get your info and get a picture of you, all right? Okay. I bet she's rock solid, man. Oh, yeah. She's beating dudes up. That's scary. Can you imagine? I bet your boys wouldn't give you a hard time at all if the chicks admitted you. Guys in the military? Yeah, dudes in the military, they overlook that kind of stuff. Of course they do. Yeah, they don't give a hard time about that kind of stuff at all. Mikey Show, what's your name? My name's Spencer. Spencer? Dexter. Dexter, what do you got going on this weekend that you're worried about? All right, so this girl's coming down from NorCal. We lived in the dorm together. Last time she came down, I made a move at her. She turned me down. Didn't seem like it was going good. She didn't talk to me since then. Okay. She called me up this weekend, yesterday, and tells me she's coming in town today and she wants to see me again. What do I do? Mixed messages, right? I mean, definitely mixed messages. I mean, he tries to hook up with her. No go. But then, oddly enough, she calls him, says, she's coming in town. You want to hang out?
which sends him a message of, well, she knew what my intentions were, and now she was calling me, and, like, I get where he's coming from. How old are you? I'm 22. And how old is she? 21 or 22. I have a theory, but you guys tell me what you think about this. What do you think is going to happen with this situation? What do you think is going on with this girl? Well, she could have had stuff going on at the time when you made the first move, and now that could be all done. That is definitely true. She could have liked the guy and it not worked out and knows that she's got the backup in you. Or if they're just really good friends, she could think, oh, well, I turned him down, so now he knows we're just friends and I'm coming back in town, so let's hang out with friends. Or if she's really horny. All of these things are possibilities. I have a possibility, too. I have a possibility, too, Dexter. My possibility is it's possible that she just likes the way that it feels knowing that you like her so much. And she wants to be around that. Because girls like it when they know that a guy likes them a lot and it feels good to them. It could be. But it could be any of the other ones, too. So what would you recommend he do? Do I tease her back? Okay. Do I tease her back? How are you going to tease her? You're a dude, bro. You don't have the anatomy to tease her back. Okay?
Wear a really cute tube top. Wear a pair of Speedos, bro. Be like, you don't get any of this. No. Yeah. Well, I will be very interested to see how your deal plays out, Dexter. And please hold, will you? I don't know. All of those things. That's funny. All of those things. Tease her back. Oh, my goodness. Wait till you guys hear. this next one on line six p1 ariel are you there yeah i'm here oh yours is good yeah mine's pretty bad um i my family is planning a wedding for us and my in-laws and my parents are paying for it all and uh this weekend we went off and eloped to vegas just because it was too stressful and he's actually out of town so i'm gonna have to tell my family by myself And then we're probably going to wait until he gets back to tell his family. And you're doing that this weekend? We're doing that, yeah. I'm hopefully doing it tomorrow. His mom just came back from Mexico. So they're planning a giant wedding. You guys got married last weekend. Have they spent any money yet? I'm sorry? Have they spent any money yet? Oh, yeah, yeah.
They felt we bought the dress, the cake. We were already putting a down payment on the haul. That's why we did it this weekend because we were planning to do it before they actually put money down on the haul. But you already bought the dress and the cake, which is not cheap. I bought the cake. And we actually bought a cake that has, it's like a fake cake. It's only the top that's real. Oh, that's cool. We were just going to get like Costco cakes. It's not a huge deal. But the flowers were already paid for. The flowers? Oh, my gosh. You are dead. You are dead. Oh, my. Dude. Thank you. Dude. And so, idiot. Now, you're going to be the one that tells your parents, and he's going to tell his parents, and it's all going down this weekend? Well, yeah, and then it's more horrible because, like, we've been together since, you know, we were young. We've been together for, like, six years. Yeah. He works out of town, so he's not even going to be there while I tell my parents. It's bad. My family, the reason that we're telling everybody this weekend is because my brother's in town and I have six older brothers. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. That is a good one. That is crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy.
Now, what made you do that? What made you go to elope? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. It's really bad because I'm talking to you guys right now, and I'm already nauseous. Oh. Not good. Well, listen. Well, what happened was that, like, I'm the only girl out of my family, out of my six brothers. So it was just a lot of pressure because all of my older brothers, you know, more than half of them are married, and they got big weddings, but not like mine. So it was just kind of like everybody was taking over and it was just too much for me, especially because I work, you know, 60 hours a week. I can't, you know, make any of the decisions myself. They were all being made by my in-laws and my mom. So it's just ridiculous. So we just, you know, we were, we had a prepaid vacation to the Venetian in Vegas. So we went and we were there. Wow. It's a really nice gondola ride. Okay, now, Ariel, knowing your parents the way that you know your parents, what do you think the reaction will be? Oh, my God. Oh, no. That's not good. Oh, no. What do you think? So they're going to flip out, right? Yeah, they're going to, I mean, they're going to be pretty serious. You know, they're... Oh, no, no, no, no, no. No, no.
You know what, though? It's one of those things that, like, I think they'll be mad at first. They'll probably ask us to pay for more than half of what we spent already, which is fine. We were initially going to pay for the wedding anyway. Yeah. But we told his dad, like, him and his dad, he's just kind of like a whatever guy, you know, his dad. Well, your parents are not the whatever type parents, so we're going to check in with you on Monday, and we're going to find out how this went, all right? If you're alive still. Yeah. Oh. That's a good one. Text numbers 35253 if you want to text us on The Mikey Show. If you want to call us right now, our number is 570-1053. And when we come back, B-Rob's new song is going to drop. It is 741. Mayor Sanders and the mayor of Pittsburgh have set their bet for Sunday's game. It involves swim trunks and a pair of skis. Jets quarterback Brett Favre says he won't make a decision about 09 for weeks. Really? Really? Yeah. Rob's over it. Don't worry about it. What a jerk. Whoa! Oh, really? Bite your tongue, sir. I'd like to bite his. Okay. Whoa! That got weird. What happened? Before we go there, Sky, where are the burglaries happening? Where's the string of burglaries happening in San Diego?
Well, El Cajon police are warning people who live there about a string of burglaries. They've had at least seven. The first one was in mid-October, and the latest one was on Christmas Eve. And they say that basically these burglars are going around different neighborhoods in El Cajon, peeping in people's windows, looking if they can see like a purse or a wallet or valuables, if they can see it directly through the window. Rob finds that funny. Well, yeah, because he's the one doing it. Peeping is... They haven't found me yet. The verb peeping. It is pretty funny. That word is just kind of funny. If they find something valuable in sight, they then look for an unlocked window or door and get in that way. So the police are, you know, obviously if anyone has information on this call, the El Cajon Police Department. But also warning people, make sure you lock all your doors, all your windows. Close your drapes. And don't have your valuables right underneath the window. Set up a decoy purse. That's right. I don't want to go there. Yeah. And you leave the window just slightly open and then put a purse with all these valuables of gold and jewelry. What? And then you just stand behind the window with your Louisville slugger and just wait for the snatch to come in. Is that how you do it? That's a good idea. That's how you do it? And then you zip tie him. I like it. You zip tie him. Yeah. Right in the kisser. Zip. Zip. Zip. Zip. A meat sleeper for the hand. Whoa. Stop. Oh my gosh. Or email me and I'll do it.
For Boston Rob Security Systems. That's right. Pending. Boston Rob, why do you have such strong feelings about Brett Favre? Rob, Rob, Rob. There it is. Strong feelings about Brett Favre. He's a jerk. What's your fault? Can Andy take his headphones off? Relax. Why are you calling him me? Because for the past 30 years, every year he... quits or retires of the speculation. No, he doesn't. And then he holds a press conference. The guy loves attention. He's in a podcast to call the TV. That is just rude. Oh. Well, he has real strong feelings about it. And it's the reason that he wrote this song. Yes. What's the song about? Come on. Eddie. Eddie loves Red Fork. Wicked gay number four for him to go. Please go beat Jimmy Hopper. Not to mention he gave up a wicked lot of dough. Yeah.
That is your first non-hit. Wait a minute. I'm sorry. That was pretty good. That used to be called Brett Fart is so handsome, right? That Sarah Long shout out. That caught me off guard. I liked it. I appreciated it. Thank you. What the heck was that? That's fantastic. Brett Favre shouldn't retire. He has very strong NFL feelings, I think. Rob has very strong NFL feelings. He's still obviously bitter that the Packers beat the Patriots way back when for the Super Bowl. You said it was in your song. I was in the song? Oh, man. You jerk. You're done. You're done. You're busted. You're busted.
Our phone number, 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. All right, so Sky, a study was done that says that... Are you just saying this because of what Ashley just said? Yeah, yeah. She deflated me. He's very sensitive. A study was done that said that Axe body spray really does attract women, except Ashley. Well, not the Ashley part. That wasn't in the study. Yeah, that's what it says. It just says it attracts women. Except for Ashley, it says. No. I liked it, I said. She doesn't like my new Axe body spray. I said that I liked it. No, you didn't. I said that I just didn't like it as much as your other colognes because they are so fantastic. Yeah, but this is a body spray. Okay. Well, I don't really get the difference between a body spray and cologne because it smells. They both smell, right? Well, one's deodorant and the other one's supposed to be a fragrance. Well, I think that... Oh, body spray is like deodorant? Yeah. I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah. You put it on instead of deodorant? Yeah, well, it's supposed to be. I think you're using it wrong. Oh, really? No, you are right. Oh, no. You're not right.
Yeah. Well, here is the trippy thing about this study. So they have a group of men and they put on the Axe body spray, aka deodorant. And then they have another group of men who use a different deodorant that has no fragrance to it whatsoever. Okay. Then they videotape the men. Then they have the women watch the videotape. So the women can't even smell anything. But the guys wearing the Axe body spray come off more confident and more attractive to these women. Really? So they think that the Axe body spray makes men feel more attractive, which makes women interpret them as more attractive. Really? Yeah. Well, I want a study that actually has women smelling them. Smelling dirty stuff. And then we need another test group, Group C. where guys had just farted. Okay, Rob. Really? You don't think we know what the answer to that one would be, right? That's obvious. That's not an attractive... That will be the control group. Yeah. You know? No, Rob. That's not how it works. You need a control... Have you ever done science? Well, you do need a control. You don't know science. No, I do. The weather isn't science. I think it's science. They don't like it. Oh, my God. Where is it science? That's what I heard. What? Ask for the news, not the weather.
Did you just want to say that? Never do that ever. You're so dumb. Mudslides on the horizon. You're proud of that. You're bowing for that. Grow up. No, no. Thank you. Thank you. Anne Hathaway. Anne Hathaway, right? Yeah. What does she want in a dude? Could be you. If you're a single dude, could be you. I thought she had a boyfriend. Not anymore. Cut 21. What are you looking for in a guy? At this point, I'd just like him to be law-abiding. Okay.
I learned to have a sense of humor about everything. Really? Oh, yeah, big time. You're alluding, of course, to my breakup with my ex. When I found out I had to do a press tour for Get Smart, it was very odd. I was in shock. But I wanted to fulfill my professional commitments. And I didn't have anywhere to go afterwards because the paparazzi were obviously very interested in getting a picture of me crying. So I went to a friend's house. It was really nice. It was the first moment that I could let go. And I remember sinking onto her on her living room floor. And she came and she gave me the biggest hug. And my brother was there. And everyone was just surrounding me, giving me so much love. And I'm sobbing. And I look up and I just started to laugh. And I just said, it's going to make a great opening monologue in SNL. You know what? And that's how I'm going to get through it. I'm going to laugh first. No one's going to be able to laugh at me. And it eventually will just be something that happened to me. And now it is. And I'm so thrilled. What is she talking about? What did her boyfriend do? Well, what a creep. I remember this. Yeah, this was her boyfriend. They were together for years. And he's some Italian dude. Yeah, he's an Italian guy. And he was like from Italy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And he was charged with. Yeah. Careful what you say. He's a good kid.
Not so much. He was charged with wire fraud and money laundering. Well, this is... It was misunderstood. Well, here's the creepy part. Money was dirty. Here's the creepy part. He claimed that the Vatican had appointed him to do some of their financial affairs. He also claims that he actually met with the Pope. About all this stuff. And he was basically. How do we know he didn't? Well, because he didn't. Trump into assumptions. Because of the investigation. Can you prove that, sweetheart? Yeah. Well, there was an investigation that said. How do you know who he knows, who he doesn't know? Maybe you know him. Did you personally conduct the investigation? Yeah. The Pope over for dinner just the other day. Yeah. He said, hey, Pope, how you doing? How you doing there, Popple? What do you want? I don't know. You got something for your Popple-ness? Yeah, come on. So he was ripping people off and using the church to do it. I love my big ziti. What do you want from me? Hey, hello. Hi. How are you doing? And he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, and that was Anne Hathaway's boyfriend? Long-term boyfriend. Yeah. Allegedly. Allegedly. No, I don't. This, when we come back, it's a heck of a clip. Barbara Walters starts asking Tom Cruise about John Travolta's son dying, and does your religion not allow medicine, and could he have been helped?
if he had taken medicine, that kind of thing. And it's a real uncomfortable clip. I mean, it's so weird. And so we'll play that when we come back. Don't go away. Our phone number is 570-1053. You jerk. Very, very, very serious. Welcome back. It's 8.03. Yesterday, the Travolta family held a memorial in Florida for their late son, Jet. It was Florida winning the national championship last night, beating Oklahoma. This one says... Microsoft came in to rub it in. So dorky. We're going to hear about it for a year. I know. He didn't even go to Florida. That's the weirdest thing about it. You know what I mean? He didn't even go to Florida. I don't care. He lived in the state of Florida. Jacksonville. It's the same thing. I remember the day I found that out. I go, you didn't even go to Florida? You would think. What are you going to do? This text message says, Mikey, that was by far the most
pitted B-Rob track yet. Oh, yes. Way pitted. That means bad. That was the all-American lunch. It's P1 Murmur. Awesome. This one says, B-Rob, I'm with you on Favre, and I'm a big Billy Joel fan. That was awesome. Thanks a lot. That's P1 Murmur. Awesome. Let's see. Hey, Mikey, my wife and I are having a baby this morning, and we have the Mikey show on in the delivery room. Good times. That's P1 Heath. What's up? Name it Eddie. Push. Push. Breathe. Okay, so before we went to break, we said that, you know, Sky was talking about the Jet Travolta thing. This is John Travolta's son. He's 16 years old. He passed away. And Tom Cruise is Scientologist. John Travolta is Scientologist. And they're really good friends. And they're really good friends. I didn't...
I didn't hear about controversy. I hadn't heard about controversy, but apparently there's been controversy, Sky? Well, the tabloids are definitely slamming Tom Cruise because he... I guess The View sometimes tapes segments in advance. So yesterday was the memorial service for Jet Travolta, and Tom Cruise had an appointment or whatever scheduled to tape a segment with The View that will air today on The View. So he went forward and went to The View instead of going to Jet. Travolta's memorial and you know lots of the tabloids are slamming him for that that you know a friend son should be take precedent and be more important than you promoting your movie or whatever you were planning on doing but what is the controversy surrounding
Scientology and Jet Travolta. So the other thing is after Jet Travolta's death, because the Travolta family is Scientologists and, you know, people, there are a lot of rumors about Scientology, but not everybody knows the facts of Scientology because it's kind of secretive, you know. And so lots of people were speculating since Jet Travolta suffered from seizures that the Travolta family didn't allow him to have proper medical care and proper prescription medications because Scientology wouldn't allow it. Well, and the thing is, I don't know, because like Sky said, it's secretive. We don't really, there's not a lot that we know about it. You know, we had a guy on the air that used to be Scientologist, and he told us some stuff, but there was some stuff that even still he just didn't want to talk about. And so what we do know is that the whole controversy with Tom Cruise and Matt Lauer, was that he went on the Today Show and was criticizing Brooke Shields for taking... Well, Matt was being glib. That is true. That is true. But he was criticizing... Tom Cruise was criticizing Brooke Shields because she was taking medication for her postpartum depression. He was very outspoken about taking that medication.
Does that mean that Scientologists are against medication in general? Or are they just against certain medications? I don't know. I don't know the answer to it. But here, this is Tom Cruise being asked about just that. Cut to. Let me ask you something more specific then. Because there has been criticism and there's... There's so much misinformation. And one of the things that was said, I mean, it's enough to have to bear the grief of losing a child. But one of the things that was said is that in your religion, there is not a medication and you don't necessarily take a member of your family or anyone to a doctor. Is that the case? No, that's not true. It's actually, that's just not true. It's actually the opposite where they say, look, get your physical, you know, get medication, get your physical. illness is handled. It's actually the exact opposite. These people are, I have to tell you, you all know him and you see him and Kelly and there's people that are... I remember Jet when he was born and I saw him when he was, I guess, a few months old and on Just. Tom Cruise, you're creepy. Very just bodic about it.
Well, what my observation is that you hear a lot going on in the brain and not a lot coming out of the mouth. He's thinking a ton of stuff and he's self-edit, self-edit, self-edit, self-edit, self-edit, self-edit. And he's not saying what he's thinking. But something's going on up there. You can hear it because he's about to and then he backs away and he's like constantly, should I say this? Should I say this? And he's not. It's like he's worried about being perceived a certain way, not only with the Scientology, but about his relationship with John Travolta. The thing I was interested in there was the medical part of it. He said, no, it's the exact opposite. You get your physical and you get that taken care of. It was almost like he was trying to say his physical being, but then he thought, I can't say being. Because that'll sound weird. Because I don't mean like we're aliens. Right, right. I don't know. There's a guy on the line that says that he is Scientologist and that he is willing to answer yes or no questions. Is that right, P1 Science? You're willing to answer yes or no questions? Yes, and I can't elaborate too much on many of your questions if you have them. How come? Discretion is key.
What do you mean? There are, if you need medicine or you need medical attention, there are certain physicians that you can be appointed to that will take care of you. Will they do it using medicine? Yes. But it's certain physicians? Yes. That you're sort of, they say, hey, go to this doctor, go to this doctor. Exactly. You cannot just walk into any medical facility, albeit Scripps or Sharp or anything like that. So now you're a practicing Scientologist now? Yes. Why is there so much secrecy about Scientology? There is with many religions. There's much discretion with many beliefs. See, I've always thought that with... Like what? Not at all. With Buddhism and Christian and Islam, they're willing to tell you if you ask the question. They're actually supposed to. Yeah, they're supposed to kind of proselytize. Yeah, Scientology doesn't do that. How come? They don't follow the normal traditions, and it's fine with that. And that's one of the... P1 Science. P1 Science. How come? Because it's very special, it's very private, and it's very spiritual.
And it's not something that needs to be shared unless you get involved into it. It's not a commercial. It's not a movie. It's a belief. Do you believe that it saves lives? We didn't hear your answer. Do you believe that it saves lives? And why wouldn't you want to share that? Many things save lives. We try to share those. We share those. We try to keep each other alive. It's part of life in general. Or it seems. That's not necessarily true. Well, I think I get what... I don't think, let's say, B-Rob is out to save anybody's life at this moment. If I saw a bus going to hit somebody, I would yell to them and say, there's a bus coming to hit you. And I would try to save their life. What does that have to do with, let's say, Jesus Christ or Buddha? Because that if I know that Jesus can save your life, I'm going to tell you about it.
Well, I'm a Scientologist, and I can assure you that if I saw a bus coming for you and you were unaware of that, I would definitely grab you and pull you into safety. So on that same... It doesn't have anything to do with my belief in Scientology. That is just common sense. And that's what I'm saying. It's just common sense. So if your belief is that Scientology is going to save my life or, you know... bring me a better life or something like that, then why wouldn't you want to tell me about it or share it with me? It's up to the individuals as intelligent people to make their own decisions, to do their own research. We don't go knocking on doors like some other religions. That's not appropriate. It's intrusive. It's rude. We don't do that. Very simple. It's very simple. Hey, well, in terms of the medication and that part of it, what can you tell us about the medication? And I must say, I mean, I must say it is I thought it was really interesting. The yes or no deal like, you know, hey, listen, I'm willing to answer questions, but only if they're yes or no. You know, because I'm thinking to myself, man, if somebody is listening and they're thinking like, let's say somebody is listening and they may be interested in, you know, exploring their spirituality or faith and they hear you and you're saying.
I'll tell you about mine, but I'll only answer yes or no questions. You know, could you see how maybe that would be a little bit that may make somebody suspicious? Yes, absolutely. But like I said, it's up to the individual to make their own decision and to create their own. And, you know, I was raised in a private school system and I was raised Catholic. I went to a Christian school. You know, the path was laid out before me. I made my own cognitive vision to my path. Right. It works for me. I'm still Catholic and it works for them. Well, let me ask you, P1 Science. Let's say, you know, I'm interested in, you know, because that's what you were saying. You were like, hey, listen, it's all about whether or not a person's interested. You know, let's say I'm interested. Okay. You know, what do you, as a Scientologist, What do you believe? I'm interested. I believe in a lot of things like everybody else. I'm no different than any other human being. What can you tell me makes the difference between a Scientologist and a Buddhist? Well, Scientologists believe that their god is a Martian from outer space. I got you guys. P1. I'm not a Scientologist.
I think you are a Scientologist. Nope. I think he's a Scientologist. Dude, every time we've talked to somebody that's into Scientology, they don't want it to end. It ends that way. And I'm telling you, I think that that's the deal. It's ended that way. It's the weirdest thing. They go, no, no, I'm just kidding. And they bail. I don't know, man. That is not the first time that's happened. They always bail. Let me tell you something. I have read about Scientology, and they tell me enough that I know that they're Scientologists. Either they know a lot about Scientology, about certain aspects of it, like the dude that talked about the volcano that at the end of it went, bye-bye. Same thing. So they give enough information. That dude was creepy. Wow. So bizarre. But I'm telling you, man, that has happened every time we brought it up. It's so weird. It's pretty strange, huh? Yeah, very. 570-1053 is the number. We got by with a nice, easy Friday morning light commute. Really no big major problem slowing us down here at all. Pretty much up to speeds throughout the county right now. You've got some heavy fog, though, in some areas, especially along the 5 and the 15, so be careful on those freeways. The westbound 56 has got a minor delay here and some fog as well to deal with. Slow from Carmel Valley Road to the 5. Other than that, though, everything else seems to be up to speed except for one accident on the 67 southbound just before Highland Valley Road, so possible delays there. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwater 5.3. Hey, I just want to let you know that Sleep Train is making some really, really good deals for you right now. And if you are in a place where you need a new mattress and you've been sleeping on the same lumpy mattress for a long time, why don't you check out Sleep Train this weekend? They're doing their year-end clearance sales still going on right now. Last year's mattresses are an opportunity for you to save some dough. They're trying to get rid of all the old models, bring in the new ones, and so you can save some money on the stuff that was just there.
Month of December considered 08. Go in there and do this. If you're in there before 2 o'clock in the afternoon, they will deliver to your house the same exact day. And they take your old mattress out for you, which is kind of a cool thing. You don't want to have to deal with that. And it'd just be better for you to be getting a better night's sleep. So go on in and check them out. Our friends over at Sleep Train. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Now back to Mikey. I am short, shaved. Mexican. Bald head. Eddie. When I don't eat, I become a different person. Sky. Yes, I'm not the only liberal person in the world. Sean. I routinely obsess about the cleanliness of my windshield. Austin Rob. I have this when I'm merging from the 805 to the 8. You're afraid that it'll collide? Yes. And Ashley. Hygiene is very...
Very, very important to me. The Mikey Show's on. Something supernatural is going on. Rock 105.3. Number one rock song in the country. Kings of Leon, Sex on Fire. At first I thought it was the Orleans still the one. Yeah, me too. It did. It sounded just like that. That's what I thought too. Just now. Yeah, put Orleans up there. I really didn't think it was that. In your face. It really does sound like that. I'll let it get good for you, Sky. Thank you. Did I give a time check yet? No. 828. A special house committee recommended unanimously yesterday that the governor of Illinois should be impeached for allegedly trying to sell Barack Obama's Senate seat. The PGA Tour season kicked off yesterday in Hawaii with Jeff Ogilvie shooting a 67 at the Mercedes-Benz championship. It kind of does. Hey, $2,000. I don't know anything. Yeah, we're going to get the Orleans yet? Yeah, yeah. Where's the Orleans?
Still the one. Front page. Yes. Wow. Not even close. You don't hear that? I mean, I hear a tiny bit, but like... They're the same notes. They're playing the same notes. Same notes, just played differently on the guitar. Here's Kings of Leon. So no one's allowed to use a note if it's been used before in a song? No one. Not in the same progression. You don't hear that? You don't hear it? No, I don't get it. She didn't hear it at all. I don't get it. Struggling to hear it. Struggling to hear it. Well, then why don't we do this? Now it's time for This Old Sky, where P1's trying to stump the hippie with handyman questions from around the home. So, Eddie, people get to take their pick of a prize, right? Yes. All right. Here's the idea. Gonna do good, Mike. You call in, you ask Sky about one of the trades. You know what I mean? Yeah. Now we're talking about... Now, Sky, do you have any...
parameters here. Do we gotta, you know what I mean? Well, like, don't nerd out on me. Like, please. Like, I mean, you know. Don't nerd out on me. Don't nerd out on me. You know what she's saying. I mean, obviously, I'm not a licensed electrician. So, I know, like, basic stuff that homeowners who do this kind of repair stuff should know. You know, like, uh. When you need to turn on a light, which way do you flip the switch? I wired a switch, bro. West, you switch it to the west. Oh, I'm sorry. You're wrong. West. Is there any area you don't want to go? Any, like, trade? Construction. Anything I don't know. The outside. Basically, all you have to do is stump sky. It's going to be hard. Are you there, Brian? Yes, I'm here. Okay, Brian, what is your question for Sky? My question is, what does it mean to box paint? To box paint. Box paint, yep. That may be an I don't know face, Eddie. It sounds very simple. We may be looking at an I don't know face. Really already? The first question? I'm thinking. What is your field, sir?
I'm a paint contractor. Perfect. Okay. I don't... I've never heard the phrase box paint. I'm not going to lie. Right. So I'm going to take an educated guess. Okay. Next best thing. And I know when you cut in prior to rolling, it makes a box. Okay. So I'm going to say cutting in. Wrong. What is it, Brian? If you have two different quantities of paint, sometimes they're a little slightly different color. So you mix them together to make sure they're the same. All right. Really? Oh, look at me. I'm so smart with my pain. Oh, no, Skye. Oh, no. Hey, Brian. Seems pretty simple, Skye. You won, Brian. I hang up a lot. None of you knew that. Of course not. Well, it's not ask these guys. Stump the jokers over here. Yeah, you know what I mean? Stump the jokers. Okay, P1. I'll get the next one. Okay. Yeah, you will. Okay. Let's all calm down. P1 Kristen is on the line. Hi. How are you doing, Kristen? I'm good. All right. Hopefully you are as good as our little home builder over here. All right. Because let me tell you something. Skye cannot be stumped except for the last guy. But it's hard to stump her with these home improvements. Well, you stop, Mike. I see what you're doing. Seriously. What's your question for Skye? What is the difference between a regular hammer and a framing hammer?
Oh, I know this. Okay. She's got, she's got, she's got, I don't know this face, but. Huh? Well, I can visualize the two different hammers and like the framing hammer. And he just looked at me like, why are we doing this? I mean, she shouldn't even have won that handyman. You know what I mean? She only won one out of the three. She's scratching her head, for the record, okay? I'm just saying. This is a gal calling in and stumping you? Come on. You got it. What are you saying, sexist guy? We're saying that one girl knows, and the other girl, she's still thinking about it. Now, come on. Oh, my gosh. What are you about now? Give her a chance. I think the claw on it is different. Well, no, it's the head of the hammer. On a regular hammer, it's flat. It's smooth. And on a framing hammer, it's like, it's like gripped because on framing nails. Yep. That's right. That's right. What I said. The claw's not different. My framing hammer's a little different. I don't know if that's true, ma'am. It can be. It can be. Kristen, you won. Hang on. Oh, Scott, you're close. It's not the main thing, though. Well, but Rob says that what I said isn't incorrect.
It's not incorrect. See? That does not. But that doesn't. Oh, no. 1842. I get a point for that one. We're both right. Is this what it's going to be? Lawyering her way into a win? I know. That's okay. It's okay. Yeah, we'll give her. Actually, she's right on that one. So we're both right. Let's just say she's wrong on that one. We're both right. P1 Bond. How are you doing? I'm good. How are you? Not too bad. One for one. Yeah, you are. One for one. Listen, if we're going to fudge them, let's just say you're two for two. Let's just say. 100%. Sky has not missed one. P1 Bond, what is your question for Sky? All right, Sky. If you take a level and you hold it vertically up against an object, the top bubble is measuring the levelness horizontally of the object or vertically. of the object. The top bubble of the level. Great question. I'm already lost. You can do this, guy. Think about it. Okay, so if you're holding it up against a wall. What? You're holding it, let's say, up against any object. Okay. And the top bubble is measuring the horizontal levelness of the object or the vertical levelness of the object. Go home. She's reading her eyes.
She's rubbing her eyes. Skye, it's 50-50. I want to think it out. I don't want to just guess here. Hey, will you guys quit badgering, Skye? Stop it. Horizontal for the vertical. The top bubble. I'm going to say... Eddie's doing slow blink. Slow blink? It's the most humiliating blink. It's the worst of the blinks. It says so much. You can do this. I say vertical. Wrong. Horizontal. She's 0 for 3, Eddie. I am 1 for 3. I am 1 for 3. I am 1 for 3. Face. You win. Don't you face me, sir. Well. Maybe I'm better in action than on trivia.
Yeah, but you lost two out of three in action. That's the one that mattered. How would you know how to level something if you don't even know what it means? Eddie, stop asking me. You just make sure it's level. You just make sure the bubble's in the middle, bro. Yeah. Hello. And then you're good. Yeah, bro. But you don't know if it's vertically or horizontal. If all the bubbles are in the middle, you're good. What do you want from me? Nothing. Eddie's giving up. He's giving up. He sounds deflated. The next one, I don't know that the next one is really one of the trades. What? I don't. I don't. I don't. I think Sky has to get a break on this one. P1J Mac, you there? Yeah, what's going on, Mikey? What is your question? All right, this is more just general around working with your hands knowledge. All right, on a car battery, what color terminal is negative? Oh, well, that's not the, that's not. what we're doing there. That's automotive, right? That's not really... That's handy, man, though. I mean... I don't know. Eddie's shaking his head. Nah, not really handy, man. What's the answer? Blue. Black. I was going to say black. West. Well, what would you expect me to say? I mean, hello. It's really my go-to answer. It's black. Dang it. It's white? Black.
Black. Oh, it's black. Okay. Thank you for the call. Blue, Ashley says. I thought I had it. I thought there was a black and a red, right? I swore I had it. That is correct. Okay. Well, we're waiting for another question to come through. We got all the lines lit up. Oh, man. But the deal is, is that we, I told Zeth, I said, don't put on stuff that's like super complicated. Try to keep it simple. Yeah. And, you know, so I don't want him to put on something that's real. Right, like framing hammers. Who knows that stuff? I know that. You did not know that. I was right. I was right. What, the claw's different? Yes. There's more to it than that. Well, it doesn't have a flat head, the hammer, that hammer, framing hammer. It doesn't have a flat head. Yeah, that's the point of the hammer. But also, when you're framing, it's important to take out the nails real fast. So that's why the claw's different. She sounds like she knows what she's talking about. How's the claw different? It's got more of a curve to it. Oh, wow. Those were guilt eyes. What are you doing? And I kind of want... She's good. I want a recount on the level question because with her, I was thinking that it was... What did you say the answer was? She said...
Vertical. Vertical. The answer is horizontal. Whatever it was, I felt like I agreed with her, and I've been looking up levels, like pictures of them, and levels will come with different gauges all through. You know what I mean? Sky is pointing at Rob like, yep, I knew that. Like, if you look up pictures, so it depends. He could have had a level on his hand that, you know, the top was for three, baby. I am really good. She's awesome, dude. What do you want? I am really good. P1 recovery. Are you there, recovery? I'm here. All right. What is your question for this guy? I got several questions, but my answer, my thing is she was right on the level. You already told me my question was too hardcore. Yeah. So in your face. So face on your face. I think that guy that was asking the level question just wanted you to be wrong because he waited and then said whatever. Yeah, yeah, the opposite. This guy got it right? He's a jerk. How about that?
We're giving out prizes all willy-nilly over here. That's right. Guy, you call back and give that back. You can have it, Mike. If that's the level he's got to sing to, just let him have it. All right. We have two more, but I'm going to decide between one of them, all right? Okay. What do we do? Give me the good one. Give me the one I know. Well, okay. I don't know either one of these. I think line one would be good. Okay. Matt? Hey, Matt. Hey, Matt. Matt, you have a question to stump Skye. All right, Skye, good luck on this one. You ready? Yes. All right, what technical name for a Sawzall? What? A reciprocating saw. Rock. Thank you. Skye got it. He's undefeated. We can continue dealing with this game. Just shout him out. Wow.
Sky was four for four. Wait. No, I was three for four, Mike. Not really, but she killed it. You got one out of four. Scott was three for four. No. Matt, sorry. You didn't win that one, buddy. This guy stumped you, all right? Wow. Thank you. One for four. I was three for four. I mean, I listen six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on the station. Now we got you guys on every morning and stuff like that. Home of the P1s and stuff like that. Rock 105.3. By the way, double the beef for only 89 cents is actually eight words.
Yeah, I was never good with numbers. Taco Bell's Cheesy Double Beef Burrito. A double portion of seasoned beef smothered in warm melty nacho cheese sauce. It's double the beef for only 89 cents. Think outside the bun. Double the beef compared to Burrito Supreme. At participating locations, prices may vary tax extra. Trevor Hoffman, no longer a padre, signed a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers. Eddie, did you post your shepherd's pie? Shepherd's field? Did you do that? Yeah, it's on my blog. Yeah, it's awesome. The entire recipe. Dude. Awesome! I'm telling you, man, Eddie makes a really good shepherd's pie. Yeah, my dad just wrote me and said thank you for posting the recipe. Apparently he's going to make it. That's awesome. I'm like, wow. You know, one of these days your dad should be putting out a cookbook. For real? I know. If he ever decides to do that. He doesn't have anything written down, though. He does everything by... A pinch of that. A little bit of that. And it's all feel and taste. That's how my grandma is. Does it change every time, then, when he makes something? No, it doesn't. It usually tastes exactly the same. Pretty consistent. You should just watch him, then. Yeah, I mean, if he sat down and thought about it, he probably could figure it out. Or he could be like my grandma. She literally goes, well, you take a dollop of the flour, and then you take a little scoop. of the sugar and, like, a spoonful of vanilla. That's literally how she tells me recipes. Skye. Yeah, that's hard. Skye. Hi. You have somebody coming over for dinner tonight. You must cook. What are you going to do? Ooh, quick fire. What are you making? Quick fire challenge. You must cook. Quick fire. Go. You get a trip to Vons on your way home. Something ham. Wow. That was uncalled for a rock. Okay. I have to...
You have to cook or we have to cook? You have to cook. By yourself. No help. Booze out of town. A money casserole. Okay, well. Ham helper. What can you do with gold ingots? Shut up. I don't even know what those are, Sean. You dummy. Okay. I'm going to boss. I'm going to Vaughn's, and I'm going to get one of those pre-cooked chickens. Those are really good. Oh, the rotisseries. Yeah, those are delish. I will get one of those. I will make my homemade mac and cheese, which, not the box. I attempted this over the holiday, and it came out really good. I made homemade macaroni and cheese. What did you do? You boil the noodles. You make sauce with... You and my wife do that. It's called... Pasta, it is not noodles. You boiled the pasta. You're in my way. What's the difference? What is the difference? My wife's saying, what's the difference between a boiled potato and a baked potato? Well, I get that. One's pasta, one's noodles. Noodles are for, like, Chinese food. Chinese food's noodles. I boiled the stuff. Thank you. For your Italian dish.
Yeah, and then you melt butter, and you put in onion, and you put in milk and flour, and you make this little saucy thing. The Rue. And then you slowly melt cups and cups of cheese in there. That's who Uncle Owen was married to, by the way, right? No, that's Aunt Rue. Aunt Rue. And then once the pasta's done, you put it in, and you mix it all together, and then you put it in a casserole dish. What kind of cheese? I mix mozzarella and cheddar. Mozzarella. Mozzarella. Is that the name? Time out. How do you say mozzarella and noodles? This is the way that I make my macaroni. How do you guys say it? Mozzarella. Mozzarella. Well, most people say mozzarella. Mozzarella. Mozzarella. Mozzarella. Mozzarella with a little mozzarella. Wow. So I have my little cheese. Not to use the macaron. I take my cheese mixture. I mix it with my noodles. I put it in a dish.
And then I cover it with, I cook it, and then... A tin of oil. No. A casserole, it is. A casserole. I make a nice casserole. And then I cook it, and then at the very end, I put a... I use the parmesiano-resiano. All right, we get the joke. You are Italian. We get it, man. You're half Italian, okay? Fine. So, you cook it in the oven. And then at the very end, you put a mixture of breadcrumbs and butter on the top and you broil it so it crisps up. Like a brusket. Like a brusket. So I would have my chicken, I would have my homemade mac and cheese, and then I would serve my green beans with almonds and bacon.
It's so weird, because my wife, that's my wife's go-to, too, is the green beans with the bacon, and she puts onion. Oh, I put sliced almonds. Really? That sounds good. There's an almond. Almond. Oh. Leonard. And then, uh... And then the Hawaiian rolls. What did he say? Leonard. Leonard. And the Hawaiian rolls, and that's... A cherry's jubilee, and that's it. All right, cherry's jubilee, and that's it. Oh, my gosh. Wow. That's fantastic. Oh, great. Sky Batali. That's right. Sky Batali. That's a great Italian meal. If you want my recipe for macaroni and cheese. Oh, my gosh. Macaroni Florentine. Well, that sounds delicious. Thank you. Yeah.
Love Italian food. Me too. We announced this yesterday, but they say who's going to be the villain in Iron Man 2. Yeah. Mickey Rourke is in talks to be the villain of Iron Man 2. That'd be good. Yeah, they say he's in talks to be Crimson Dynamo, which I guess is a Russian's arms dealer, which is kind of the equivalent of Iron Man, but the Russian counterpart. So that would be crazy. Mickey Rourke. Mickey Rourke. You mean me, Mr. Rourke. I'm back. They weren't talking about you. It is me, Tatoo. I'm very excited to reprise my role of car.
Are you going to be conned in the new Ireland movie? I will be conned in the new Ireland movie. I will get to show off my historic pectoral muscles again. It's like you're saying macaroni, bud. Yes, mozzarella. Yeah, let it go. These are muscles. They're enough to make a man so envious he would immediately shoot himself in the head. Hey, Tattoo! Yes, too soon. Yes, Tattoo. May I sit on your lap, please? No, Tattoo, you know my problem. Oh, that's right, I forgot. Yes, I got the, you know. Why can't I? I got the, you know. Oh, don't worry about it. Maybe you can be in my version of Iron Man. Uh, what is that, Tattoo? I'm working on my own version, boss. Really? Yeah.
They made my costume and everything. Oh, how does it go, Tattoo? Well, I put each food in a paint can. Wait, you fit in a paint can? Oh, I forgot. You are tiny. And then I tie a stainless steel soap dish to my hands. Yes. Weird. And put a toaster oven over my head. No, Tattoo. Instant Iron Man. No, Tattoo. That's dangerous. I believe it is time for me to return. To film and have... Sorry, boss. I need a Ricola. Get that shotgun out of your mouth. I think Khan should fight Iron Man in an epic battle of good versus even. Boss, that is Star Trek, man. Listen, Frodo, I don't need your... They want me, not you. They want Mickey Rourke, not you.
And Jimmy Dean wants your fingers, not real sausages. I get it, Dadu. Get out of here. Boss. Yes, Dadu. Is that voice hurting your throat, Dadu? No, boss. Shall we continue? Yes, boss. Remember when the same thing happened in the 80s when you showed up thinking that you had been a kid for nine and a half weeks? Do you remember that? Do I remember when I was in nine and a half weeks? Do you remember? Yes, that too. But that time I was glad it actually wasn't me. Right, but what was it? Well, I had the spinal bifida. That would have prevented me from giving me, giving that role my all. Okay. TMI. They really got down in that movie. Okay, it's a TMI. And I got the spinal bifida. I know, I know. And Kim Bas.
Really? Make a sweet love to her. Yes, Tattoo. Yes. Had to fight Danny DeVito for a part in Batman. Is that true, Tattoo? Yeah, it's absolutely true. And the winner got the role of the penguin. Oh, really? Yeah. Did you win? No, the loser got the role of Michelle Pfeiffer's wandering eye. No, Tattoo. Tattoo, please. It's a pretty good-paying gig, though. No, Tattoo. So, Tattoo. Yes, boss. Do you know about this Mickey Aurora? His name is yours. It's your name. Why do you have such a high name? Oh, wow. Please. I don't know of this fellow. Mickey Rourke, he was in Scene CD, and he's also in a new motion picture from Searchlight Pictures called The Wrestler. Wow. Wow. That's not cool. I see that. Ooh. Hey, hey, boss. Yes, Tattoo? Why weren't you cast in that room? How many times? I have the spider. I beat me down. I cannot wrestle. Yeah, we know. I forgot, boss. I'm sorry. It's not very nice. You know, Tattoo, the first time I had a fling with Charo. What? Charo again? Yes, we played blackjack at the table with Mickey Roraro. Really? Yes, Tattoo.
That was the first time I tried dangerous narcotics. Okay. You don't say, Bob. Yes, Tattoo. In fact, Mickey Roraro. Bob, it's your name. Why do you struggle with it? He was quite a bad influence. Really, Bob? Like, give me an example. Well, for one thing, Tattoo. Yes? He was quite a pig. Really? Yes, he would constantly ask me to... Pull his finger. I was very gullible, as you know, Tattoo, and I would fall for it each time. Hey, boss. Yes. That's really, really terrible, but hey, boss, I'm really having a problem with my finger here. I have a terrible pain in my Viennese-sized little sausage finger. Yes, yes, yes. Hey, you help me out with it. Oh, anything for you, Tattoo. And you pull my finger. Oh, you seem like an idiot. You're an error, boss. Yes, Tattoo. What kind of villain are you going to be? Oh, thank you for asking, my Mijot friend. Thank you, Mijot. I will be one. Yes? Tall, very strong, very intelligent, Tattoo. So the opposite of Boston Rob from the Mikey Show? He's just saying that. He's not even paying attention, Tattoo. There's no reason to attack this poor fellow. I would say pick on somebody you're on size, but you are.
If we could drag him away from his computer screen. It's interesting because your producer has already talked to him about it today. And yet he still isn't listening. The show talked to him about it multiple times. Interesting, Tattoo. I don't understand why he does not listen. Anyway. Next line, Tattoo. Yes. To be the villain, what does that make me? Good question, Tatu. I think you can be my personal assistant. Oh, yeah? Okay. Now that I am a high-paid A-list actor, you can do very important things for me, like bring me pastries and shed my shoes. Yes, Tatu. That's not fun. I'm sorry. Instead.
Can you put me in a Snuggie and give me a Pidgey Bug ride? You are not a baby. I will not do that for you. Plus, once again, I have the Spinal Bifida. I cannot kill you around. Can we go on a run together later today, boss? I cannot run that team. I can barely sit here and speak with you. That's true, boss. Yes? I think we found a solution. Boston Rob hasn't looked at his computer screen for at least 40 seconds. Welcome to the show, Boston Rob. World Extreme Cage Fighting hits San Diego for the first time ever. Dish the dishwater and come to a.m. p.m. for 20 ounces of real coffee for just 97 cents. A.m. p.m., too much good stuff. At participating stores for a limited time. We do have a car fire, though, being attended to on South 15. Before Rancho Bernardo Road, fire crews are on the scene, so watch for that on the right-hand shoulder. Reservoir freeways are up to speed, but things are gusting up here throughout the mountains and deserts. A high wind advisory now in effect on I-8 between Alpine and the Imperial County, advising high-profile vehicles such as Canberra's motorhomes and big rigs to use extra caution along that gusty stretch, getting up to around 55 miles per hour gusts in some areas, so be careful out there. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood053. That's a shame right there. That hurt me. KC San Diego's Rock. The Mikey Show continues, featuring...
Mikey. I am a fan. Eddie. When I don't eat, I become crazy. Yeah, you like turn into the whole. Sky. I grew up in a family where we give toast. Sean. Really bothers me when I operate Tech G, which I consider to be like normal. Boston Rob. At 24 years of age, I can't grow a beard. Nah. And Ashley. I do not have that. That makes total sense. The Mikey Show's on. It is homo. Rock one off. It's the Mikey Show. It's 9-10. Barbara Walters' interview with Patrick Swayze had 3 million more viewers than the People's Choice Awards that night. Ohio State running back Beanie Wells is going to enter the NFL draft. Beanie Wells. I just got a text from Talon that says that he can explain Scientology. What? Yeah. How does he know? He reads Scientology stuff?
We've done it before. Is he going to hang up at the end of explaining to us? Just kidding. Got you. You got punked. Okay. Welcome back. Oh, I just went on CNN.com. The governor of Illinois has been impeached by the House of Representatives. Oh, wow. What state did you say? Illinois. Did you pluralize it though? Did you guys catch that over there? There may have been an air leak at the end of that. I don't know. She said Illinois. Yes. Illinois. Sky, you're the best. You're stupid. Hey, he's giving you a compliment. Email. Mikey, this is just a suggestion on the handyman home improvement game. Maybe you guys could come up with the questions so you'll have a definitive answer and have P1s call in to wager whether or not Sky will get the question right or not. Interesting.
That'll be the way they win the prize, and it'll keep Sky from trying to argue that she's right. You guys are rude. Mikey, that game was awesome, but I think it's proven that the term is called handy man, not handy lady. It's P1, what's hampooning? It's science, Holmes. Mikey, way to go. No, way to go, Sky. Even if you're wrong, just beat them up until they say you're right. That's science. That's my strategy. P1Will texted in and said, you guys are the funniest show in the country. Super awesome. Thanks. Keep up the good work. Awesome. This one says, capital OMG. That was hilarious. Thank you, guys. P1Vet. Mikey wanted to compliment you on how great you like. How what? What?
Mikey, wanted to compliment on you on how great you look. I saw you being interviewed yesterday on one of the news channels, and my draw dropped as you are almost unrecognizable. Your trainer should be proud. That's P1 Ashley in Oside. That is very nice. You got her number, Mike? Yeah, yeah, I got her number. I just started the workout, so the workout should be good. Before that, all I did was pray about it, and I had lost a lot of weight. I was just praying. And so now I'm starting workouts and I'm going to start lifting weights and stuff and see if I can improve upon it. You know, you guys, that was the greatest Rourke and tattoo impressions ever. Got to go. My spinal bifida is acting up. There it is. Let's see. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. I just got a text here, Mike. What do you got? It says. What does it say? Annie, I saw you being interviewed yesterday. What the hell happened? That person has too much time on their hands. Boston, Rob. Yeah, what is that about, Rob? You can text yourself. I don't need that. I'm working on it. Not really. He's with child, right? Sympathy weight, okay? Come on. I get that. Sky said that she went to her first yoga class yesterday. Yeah. Senior yoga.
What did he say? Senior yoga. So I'm taking it at the S&P No Community Center. It's called yoga with the oldies. Do you mean Senior Center? No bottom lip, Skye. No bottom lip. No bottom lip. No. Skye, how was it? It was great. Did you love it? Yeah. No. No downward dog. Too difficult for seniors. They're not advanced. We did downward walk our mind. Yes. We're starting slow. And, you know, one of my favorite parts was the last 10 minutes where we lay there and meditate as our instructor sings to us. Yes. Wait. Huh? Okay. Can you repeat the song? Well, it's Al Jolson in that one minute too. Yes, I love that number. I've never heard of singing. It's wonderful. You press your cane up against the wall. Did you try the Melissa Etheridge? That's not a real question. It's one of the yoga poses. At MikeyShow.com. It's a great pose. What about the outdoorsman? I like the Saturday night.
Saturday night's a good one. Yeah, if you want to see Rob's yoga poses, MikeyShow.com. These aren't real poses. They're fantastic. They're not real. I saw them. Very helpful. And he was in my class. Yeah, I was. I sang to him at the end. Skye, is it like Ashley says, is it really hard and it gets you sweating and going? Well, I think my yoga class is a bit different than the ones Ashley goes to. How's that? Well... I think that mine is more of a relaxation technique instead of a workout. Did people fart? Why would you ask that? Because I just... Is that what you do when you relax? Well, yes. Yes, yes. But I just talked to somebody that said that the funniest thing to them about yoga class is when people accidentally fart. Oh, it happens. Because they get really relaxed. It happens. I didn't hear any farting. You did not. But it was the first class. They usually don't get warmed up until the third class. You don't feel comfortable in it. What do you mean it was a little bit more... What does that mean then? That means that there is a variety of ages in my class. Old people. Who did you go with?
Who did I go with? When she repeats the question, when she repeats the question, it's, think of someone I went with. My girlfriend, Julie. My girlfriend, Samantha. And you, Teresa. It was me, Mabel, and Bertha. Dolores was there. And Jan. I think Harriet was there. All right. I went by myself. Glad this couldn't make it. I don't get what you're doing. Estelle held the count. That's enough. Oh, yes, Ethel. You guys are rude. Rue. And Mabel drew the cot. I went by myself. Really? I don't believe you. Who did you go with? Myself. Did you go with your mother and your grandmama? No. Did you take Nana? Did you take Nana? But after the class, I thought my mom would love this. What's the average age? I'd say the average age is probably in the... High 60s. No. I'd say mid to high 50s. 100s. Sky. What? So that's probably a pretty relaxed yoga class. Yes, we're taking it slow. You're not doing what Ashley's doing in hers. First class is just a nap.
Is it a heated? Yes. They warm you up by having you nap for an hour. People would die. It's not heated? No. What? No. It's called reality yoga. Reality yoga. I wouldn't be able to do that. That would bore me. They tell stories or something? What are you guys doing? Is there music? Yeah. Yeah, the singing at the end. I mentioned that it's nude. Yeah, the singing at the end was, you know, as she was singing the song, I was thinking in my head, if the guys on the show heard this right now. You've got to be kidding me. Bring a recorder. That is not. I will not. I will not. Tell us. That is not cool. What? She sings a song about relaxing your body parts and goes through different body parts. Relax your arm now, edit. be free. Like that kind of thing? Well, not even that involved. Really? It's like, relax your leg now. Are you serious? And over and over about the different body parts. Head, shoulders, knees, knees, knees, toes. No, it's a relax.
Sing a calming meditative song. Head, shoulders, knees, and toes. And she was saying. Why don't you ever do anything conventional? It's so true. The neck bone's connected to the shoulder bone. The knee bone's connected to the bone. I just gave Ashley a look. She don't think I gave her a look that said, you're dead. You're busted. You, you're dead. You don't need to riff on that. I'm sorry. I don't care who you are. That's fantastic. It was fantastic. Sky, you do things with more mature people, I would say. It doesn't matter. Sky hangs with a mature crowd. She hangs with a mature crowd. If you're growing, if you're getting the experience, it's all about your growth in the yoga. I'm convinced that you're Benjamin Button. Practice.
You're young and pretty, but you're really 95 years old. 100%. You know what I mean? She'll be a teenager when she's 65. That is so funny. All right. Sorry. Whatever. Did you like it? Yeah, it was really, really neat. And there was one other gal in the class. Skye, first of all, you're not helping the senior image by saying, quote, it was really neat. It was the bee's knees, my guys. Fine, Eddie. Grab a piece of fat and slide off. I don't even know why I share with you guys. Come on. I thought it was nice. I'm doing something good for myself. I like it. I think it's good. That's all that matters is that you like it. Can't you take a nap at home? It's not a nap. It's yoga. I want you to record it. I'm glad you're doing it. I think it's going to be good. Thank you. It was called the Reality Yoga. We'll be learning more about it. Conversely, Ashley did Hot Fusion Yoga. It's the same thing, only different. Very different. Hot Fusion Yoga in Hillcrest, by the way. Which is different than the yoga in the Escondido Community Center. It's probably a very different vibe, I would say. Different people that go there. What is the vibe?
Really just, I don't know, a plethora of people. Everyone's got their own style. Everyone's got their own age. Everyone's very comfortable and relaxed in themselves. Very jazzy. Great group, though. Great energy. I rocked it. It was a great class. That's right. Yeah. 570-1053 is the phone number. And speaking of Escondido, last week we were talking about these burglaries at the Humane Society. They hit another one only this time in Escondido. No. They hit my Humane Society where baby Dito came from. No. Come on. Come on. I bet they broke in to steal that big check that I won. That's right. Fake Sky. That's not worth anybody. If anybody shows up with that to the bank, they know it's the perpetrator. It's ridiculous. Sky won $5,000 for the Humane Society because she won a poker tournament. Yep. Awesome. It was nice of you to write them one of your own checks. I saw that picture with you. Uh-oh. Whatever. Those aren't yours? You need a giant check of all the zeros I write. Oh, you guys are hilarious. Get with a paint roller.
The police don't know if the Escondido Humane Society break-in is related to the one at the Helen Woodward Animal Center in Rancho Santa Fe, but they're investigating. It's kind of a coinkydink. You jerks. Bad karma. Bad karma. Bad people. A photo company is apologizing for a picture of a half-naked skier dangling from a ski lift. Dangling? It was cold out. Like, that doesn't make sense. If it was warm out, you might. But it was cold out, so I don't know. Well, he was to me. It makes sense to me. He was hanging. He was actually hanging upside down, so his body was dangling. Got it, got it, got it. But in the fall, I guess his pants got caught on the lip. In the fall, his pants. Okay, that one I didn't quite get. Continue on. So he was basically hanging upside down.
from the lift with his pants around his ankles. So what photo company? These pictures were everywhere. Who's not taking a picture of that? I don't know what's funnier, the story or Rob reacting to the story. Okay, so this is why the photo company... What's a photo company? This is why the company is apologizing. This happened up at Vail, and I guess the guy who took the picture is actually... It should be called Unveil. The guy who took the picture is actually that guy that when you get off the lift and you're going to go down the slope or whatever, or you're going to get on the lift. That's funny. That's funny. They take the picture of you as a memoir, and then when you're at the bottom of the hill, you can buy it. So when he gets down, did he purchase it? So I guess the dude who took the picture thought it was so funny. It ended up getting posted at, like, TMZ, and then it was on, like, every news site. It, like, totally made the rounds. So now this guy may lose his job over it. Aw, man. Wow, Mommy, that's funny. I got her. Okay. Enough already out of you. Brutal.
Jessica Simpson's hair guy told her that he doesn't want her to wash her hair any more than two to three times a month. Oh, what? It's filthy. What? Sean, why? That can't be. Well, because when you get your hair done a lot, especially if it's processed with a lot of heat and a lot of chemicals, you need those oils, those natural oils to keep your hair, you know, your scalp healthy, your hair looking nice. Yeah. And so basically his advice to her is only wash it a couple times a month and choose the times you're going to wash it. So if she knows she has like a big event or a photo shoot or something, wait until then to wash it. But only wash it before those events. What if she works out? Don't wash it. Because that's my issue. Like I have to shower after I work out. Ashley. I hate showering. You have to shower, okay, lady? It's bad for me. I hate it. It's bad for my hair. Stop it. It's not bad for you. Put on a shower cap like Sky in the pool. I had to shower twice yesterday. It sucked. Why don't you just put on a shower cap? I'll just take a bubble bath instead of me. Then you're making a dirty Ashley soup. You're steeping in it. Ashley soup. You're making Ashley stew when you do this. Yummy. No.
so gross that he told her to do that, and I bet she will. It's vomitous. Then her hair's going to smell bad. Ew, ew, ew. It's going to smell like a wet duck. Ew. Aren't they all wet? Or a dry lion. I don't judge it, I just do it. And then we judge it. It's like a damp horse. Just damp. Like they're giving away dragons for free. Mike McGregor just walked in. What has happened? I don't know. It's like they're giving away dragons for free. This is the Mikey Show. Hey, I love the Mikey Show. You know what? You guys are awesome. I like it every day. Thank you, brother. Real fear of throwing up. Sky. I was just thinking in my head, I'm getting paid for that. Sean. I really like going to the doctor's office. Boston Rob. Hey, Taylin, we're going to have to get to this later, so I know how to get a hold of you, so we'll get to you later. All right, brother. All right, brother. Text messages we're getting at 35253. Mikey, today's show is the funniest ever. Thank you guys for being you. It's P1 Dog Walker. Mikey, my roommate is in a music therapy class, and he uses soft singing at certain groups, and they really do help. That's P1 Lechuga. Oh. That's right. Mikey, a bunch of old people doing yoga and not one single fart I call shenanigans. Where were you really, Sky? I wasn't on the lookout for farts. I mean, please. Save that clip. That's a great clip. That is a great clip. Awesome. Obama gave a speech yesterday about the economy. Cut eight. I don't believe it's too late to change course.
But it will be if we don't take dramatic action as soon as possible. If nothing is done, this recession could linger for years. The unemployment rate could reach double digits. Our economy could fall $1 trillion short of its full capacity, which translates into more than $12,000 in lost income for a family of four. We could lose a generation of potential and promise. As more young Americans are forced to forego dreams of college or the chance to train for the jobs of the future. And our nation could lose the competitive edge that has served as a foundation for our strength and our standing in the world. In short, a bad situation could become dramatically worse. He's definitely right about that. Thank you, Bill Clinton. For getting us into this mess. I'm sorry they're doing that. But, yeah, so Obama is basically urging Congress that when he gets into office to act quickly on this new economic plan that he has that will hopefully cut taxes, create jobs, and, you know, start projects, construction, repairing roads and schools that will put more jobs out there in the workforce. Hey, guys, it's President Obama. Oh, hey. Oh, my God. What an honor. Wow. I was calling in because I heard you talking about this.
I actually have quite a bit to say about it. Well, is that right? I thought I would call you directly and talk to you about it directly. Good. We need some answers. You know, the Obama family has been impacted by this pretty much like every American. Really? In fact, I was lunching with Michael Douglas at the Tavern on the Green just last week. We had to have the chicken breast instead of the filet. Okay, well. Most of us don't go to tavern all the time. I can't relate to that. I think most people do, Sky. I'm just like every other American. It doesn't seem like it. I believe in sacrifice. So does Michelle. In fact, Michelle has agreed to stop removing her makeup with 20s. Okay. I don't think she does that, bro. I think that's disgusting. That anyone does that. The first thing I've decided to do is cut back the cost on frivolous things. And so I have asked McDonald's to scale back their menu and just sell the Big Mac. Well, how's that going to sound? Barack Obama. Obama. Come on, man. And no more quarter pounders with cheese.
I don't understand how that helps you. No more McNuggets. Okay. What? By all means, eliminate the filet of fish. Well, okay. I support that. No, you don't like the filet of fish. That's why. Yeah, I don't care for it. But that doesn't have anything to do with the economy. But it's a great idea. Guys, guys. Instead of giving billions of dollars to the automakers, I've asked them all to make the same car. What are you talking about, Barack? How does that help? One car, people. I think that would help. That's what you do. That's what you're going to do. And this is what you'll drive. Just one car. The good news is it's a nice ride. I've asked him to make a Geo Metro. Okay. I don't have that idea either. You're welcome, America. No, Barack. No one said thank you. I think you're on the wrong track. I don't like this plan. Part of my economic plan that I think needs to be done first is the escalade in every home policy. Wait. How is that going to work? I've decided to take the money plan for universal health care and use it to finance a new escalade for every middle to low income family. What? That doesn't sound bad. Well, universal health care. I want an escalade. Who does? I'm just going to help in a couple of ways.
Help the auto industry, and it'll also give these families the confidence to prosper and help turn our economy around. I think it's a good idea. I kind of like that one. No, Eddie, no. By the way, did you guys get a chance to see my new limousine? Yeah. Unfortunately. Yeah, yeah. It's like an Escalade and a limo mated with a gas pump. It's a gas pump. That's very true. You guys see I met with all the former presidents and George Bush at the White House the other day. Yeah, I saw the picture. I was looking for their input on my economic recovery plan. Oh, you were? Fortunately, Bill Clinton got drunk and kept asking if anyone wanted to see his stimulus package. I figured now that I have you on the phone. Yes, Barack Obama. How about I answer an email from the San Diego area here on the air while I have you? Oh, this is an exclusive. This one says, Dear Barack, you are such a normal guy. How is it that you're about to become the leader of the free world and yet you're still just like everyone else? Signed, Kendra from Santee. I'd like to take the opportunity to answer Kendra if I could.
Well, I don't really believe that. Good question. Got her here. You know, Kendra, I go to work every day just like everybody else. That's true. Work out five times a week just like everybody else. Eat all the right kinds of foods prepared by my personal chef just like everybody else. Except kickbacks from large corporations just like everyone else. That is not true. Definitely not like everybody else. Only Republicans do that. No. I like that thinking. You know, Eddie, I had a vision. Oh, what's that? Vision was a naked Indian. A naked Indian came to me and said that I must put on a show. What do you mean? I decided that I'm going to put on a fair for everyone on welfare. Fair? Yeah, we're going to have bouncy castles, pony rides. Everyone's favorite food funnel cakes. Oh, those are delicious. But I don't see how that's going to help. Because I'm just like everyone else, Eddie. I just want a naked Indian coming to me in a vision. Telling me about a welfare fair. Are you on something right now? You know, Mariah Carey just got here. We're going to go in the jacuzzi just like everyone else. I'll have to talk to you a little bit later on.
Hello? Who's the man? Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. Oh, my goodness. I'm going to tell you this right now. Listen to this. So you want to guess the cat names? Oh, those were the dog names? Yeah. They just did. I thought those were dog and cat names put together. No, those were dog names, and there's some overlap in the categories, too, some of the same names. He's a cat. Left in the toilet, he's a cat. Oh, no. Oh, it's so good. Yeah, it's so good. Because you named your cat Tigger, and that's just jerky. Dumb. And the number two is Chloe, which was also a dog name. Chloe. There you go. I think we're good. I got it all out there. All the big stuff. There was an earthquake yesterday in San Bernardino. They felt it all the way down by the border. Yeah, I felt one last night. Come on, Zach. What time did you feel something? That would be great because that would mean exciting game. Yeah, exciting game. I want to see. I hope that the defenses are, you know, both off the, well, the Pittsburgh defense is off their game. I hope that Norv listens to me and blocks James Harrison. I hope that Norv listened to me and tells the guys to hold that ball high and tight. High and tight. High and tight. You know, Pittsburgh's used to the cold weather. What kind of beach people, man, do you think? It's going to make it harder for us to win, or do you think we really, I mean, do you really think we can win? I want us to win so bad. We're going to wear mittens. That's right. I mean, that's your, you're the sports guy. That's your answer. That's the Oracle, baby. We're going to wear mittens. Little knitted mittens. That was awesome. Hi, this is P1 Spartan. I just want to say that chair was the weirdest thing I've ever heard. It was. It was. Weird and awesome. Freaking out. It was hilarious. Hilarious. Oh, thank you. Eddie doesn't like when they name pets, you know, human names. Ashley was kind of irritated. What are you supposed to do? Name him chair? The obvious. You knew what I meant. We didn't. No, we never knew. Mikey Show. Good morning. What's up? Good. Good. I wanted to comment or question yesterday's show. A guy named Tyler called in, and it was the Cheater Hotel. Uh-huh. Well, I had to go into work, and I never got to hear the end of the conversation. She was cheating. Well, it sure sounded like she was cheating. With Rob? Yes, with a guy named Rob. Boston Rob. End of the show on Fridays, I tell you a little bit about my story and where I came from and where I am today. And in short, my story is a story about me being extraordinarily insecure with very little self-esteem and trying my best to hide that from people and not let people know that that was the case. and portraying something different. You know, I have tattoos all over my body, but my right arm is sleeved with tattoos. And it's interesting because I find, you know, I went to that website, IamSecond.com, and there's testimonies of all these different people. And I saw Head from Korn, who's now a believer. I saw Josh Hamilton. A professional baseball player who's a believer. Both these guys all covered in tattoos. And, you know, that tattoos, the tattoos for me, you know, they portray a certain image. And the image is sort of a tough looking image. When the truth and the reality of it is, is that that's the last thing that I was was tough. Or I am. In fact, inside, all growing up through my life, what I was was insecure with a very low self-esteem.
who desperately wanted for people to like me. In fact, I still have that. I still have a thing where I just really, I want people to like me. The thought of people not liking me is sad, man. Tough for me. I want to be accepted. I think a lot of us, we just want to be accepted. And that's how I grew up. But I was different, and I knew it. I knew I was different from people. I knew I thought in a different way. Just my interest and stuff like that made me different. But I also felt different because I was a victim of abuse when I was little. And nobody knew I was ashamed of it. When I got into high school, I started drinking. That was a way of feeling all the different things that I just told you about. When I was getting even older, when I was getting into my 20s, I started to do the drinking a lot more.
And the drinking went from being something that I was doing to sort of hide behind and mask, numb out with. It went from that to something that I couldn't control anymore. And even if I wanted to change it, I couldn't change it. There came a time where, and I don't know the day that I went from, oh, I can just drink normally to I'm addicted to the alcohol. That day came. Eventually, I was addicted to it. And I know that there's people that are listening right now and you may be in addiction. Where you're listening right now, you're having to deal with a really, really painful thing in your life. Something that just, that people would never know it, but it's something that you regularly cry about. It's something that when you're in your car and nobody knows it, you're bawling your eyes out about it. Divorce, whatever that thing is.
and you don't feel any hope. I want you to know that I felt that in my life. I accepted Christ into my life, and that's what changed everything in terms of how I felt inside. It changed everything inside of me. Go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. There's a tab up at the top where you can click. And you could see in his face that when he said it, he could feel like that people would be like, that just sounds trippy, you know? And so I know that, too, when I say that I put my faith and my trust in Jesus Christ, that that's got to sound like, whoa, dude. I'm just saying it is really, really real. It is really real, and it is real, and it's living in my life, and it changed everything for me.
