Thursday, January 10th. Welcome to the show. It is 6.06. Pam Anderson is moving forward with her divorce from Rick Solomon. He says she's pregnant with his child. The Golf Channel suspends their anchor for saying Tiger Woods should be lynched in a back alley. Wait. He was making a joke about that's pretty much the only way to stop Tiger Woods is to lynch him in a back alley. Not realizing the racial implications. Oh my God. came with that comment. You want to hear it? Yes. Cut one. As you said, to take Tiger on, well, yeah, maybe they should just gang up for a while until... Lynch him in the back alley. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, that's pretty bad because you don't really hear the term lynching with white people. You just don't really... Well, you certainly don't associate it with white people. Well, originally, Golf Channel was not going to do anything about it. They said, you know, it was a...
unfortunate remark and she didn't mean anything by it. Apparently, her and Tiger are close. They're kind of friendly. Let me guess. Jesse Jackson's upset. It was actually Elle Sharpton. Okay. Got the black activist wrong. Correct. And through a stink said it's along the same lines as Don Imus' comment. She should be fired and blah, blah, blah. And now the Golf Channel has changed its mind and suspended her for two weeks. Wow. Wow. What is Tiger? He's Kaplan Asian. What does that mean? What is that? He's a lot of different things. He's part black, part Asian, part a lot of stuff. Wow. Does Tiger know about it? Yeah. Tiger said it's a non-issue. He wasn't upset about it. He doesn't care. No. There you go. Do you think that because they're friends, maybe they've joked?
I doubt it, but I think Tiger gets that she had no malice behind the comment, but it still upset a lot of people. I think we get it. I think anybody listening gets that. You just go, that was not the most politically correct thing to say. Sharpton, he made an interesting point. He said, if I make an off-color joke about any kind of Jewish American person going to a gas chamber, Well, he did. That's not funny. He did. That's why he's saying that. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. He did do that. Well, Al, you did. And the only reason that people are all upset about it is because you're telling everybody how they are racist. And they point out the thing that you said. Right. That's the deal. Yeah. Oh, well. Everybody gets so upset about that race thing, don't they? I know it, man. They get so upset about that race thing. 5701053, race to the phone. Call me on your phone. You can call me on your cell phone or your home phone or your cordless phone or your play phone or any phone that you want. You can call about anything you want.
At the beginning and end of every show, it's open phones and anything goes. So whatever you want. Our P1 listeners are our favorite listeners. They have full-on sites dedicated to us and they make websites and they're cool. And P1s are priority one. It means when you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, you don't cuss. And so let's do it. We got so much stuff going on. I want to get to all of it. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37 years old and performed surgery on myself yesterday. I love doing that. I wish I had more opportunities to do it. Me too. It's kind of fun. You feel a sense of accomplishment? Yes. I did it with a safety pin. And my wife has one of those mirrors, one of those round mirrors that on one side is normal, but when you spin it over, it's like super magnified. And it works really good for surgery. It's a really good surgical mirror. And so I turn this light on that sort of puts light on the mirror. And then I took a safety pin and removed a whitehead from underneath my eye.
Oh, my God. It was great, though. It was great. A safety pin to your face. To my eye. Oh, my God. That's crazy. Just below the eye. Did you sterilize the needle first? No, and it had my wife's makeup all over. Oh, man. I'm sorry, Sean. I did. I did, though. What I did. Sorry. Sean, I'm sorry. Hang on. What I did do, though, Sean, if this makes you feel better, there was a towel there, and so I did kind of wipe it off the towel before I used it. You're going to send Sean in the cataract arrest. I mean, what do you think? I'm nuts? Any water? I'm not crazy. No water. No water. Why bother? Nothing to cauterize with, either. I didn't have that. Oh, sorry. But let me tell you, those things have been... I even asked Sky the other day. I said, Sky, what is this? And she goes, I don't know. I go, I need chick stuff. Give me chick remedies to get rid of this. Did she say safety pin? She didn't know what it was. She said, I don't know what that is. I said, I think it's a whitehead. A little piece of rice. So I just took the little safety pin, I poked it, and I squeezed it. A little kernel of rice came out. Tiny, tiny. Like a microscopic piece of this. Anyway, good morning. It's 6-11. Did you save it?
No, I did not. Just left it for my wife. On the pin? That's a gift. I'm going to puke. Nasty. Oh, stop it. What are we, children? You guys all do stuff like this. We've all performed some sort of surgery on ourselves. Who amongst us hasn't popped pimples? And I think popping a pimple is worse, by the way. I think popping a pimple is grosser. Do we need to talk about this right now, though? Yeah, we shouldn't. We shouldn't. I also thought somebody was breaking into the house yesterday. What? Whoa. I was taking a nap about one in the afternoon, and the doorbell rang. But I was taking a nap, and so, you know, I need my beauty sleep. Especially after surgery. After surgery, you have to rest. That's what the doctor provides. So I was taking the doctor's orders. I was in bed. I was resting. The doorbell rings, and I don't want to get it. I want to keep sleeping. And a little while later, I hear the side gate open up, and I, uh-oh. So I sit up, and I'm like, what's going on around this place? And I hear a little bit more rustling and fumbling. And my wife's gone. A little more rustling and fumbling.
I want to walk around in the room. I don't want to go out of the room because I don't know what's what. I'm walking around in the room and I'm trying to get a different perspective. Where's this coming from? I get up and I go into our closet and I clearly hear movement in the house. I go and grab my pistol naked. Naked? Naked? I always nap naked. Whenever I sleep or I'm in bed, it's generally naked. Although Eddie has kind of, on a couple occasions, he has put into my head that you need to be prepared for just such an occasion. And so for this kind of thing, you should have on some sort of underpants. And so it's making me rethink it all. Diapers.
And I was wishing at that moment. You were literally caught with your pants down. Yes. Now, the reason that I do this is I had surgery a few years back, and I couldn't wear underpants, and I got used to it. It's the best. And so, you know, but I have been trying to make the transition. For instance, in my daily life, I now wear underpants. In my daily life, I wear boxer shorts. And so I should be wearing them in bed all the time. And sometimes I do, and sometimes I don't. Yesterday, I didn't, so I grabbed the pistol. And I'm sort of doing a 007 thing where I'm trying to blend into the walls. You're taking wall cover. Yep, taking wall cover. And then right before I was just about to start firing rounds off, I heard something right by my bedroom window. And so I went over to the bedroom window and I lifted the blinds. Was it an odd job? It was not odd job. No? It was not odd job out there. Lucky. It was not Jaws. It was not odd job. It was not Octopussy, and it was not... It bleeds out of his eye. It was not him. I lift up that blind, and it was the guys taking down the Christmas lights. Oh. Did you shoot him anyway? Yes. That went well. Yeah. Really? I was glad to see that that's all it was. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He's 34 years of age. Did you do your fantasy football redraft yet? Yep, yesterday.
Who did you get? Well, everybody. When you go into the playoffs, you get to draft again. Oh, you do? We play all the way through the Super Bowl. And so yesterday we redraft, and you can freeze it up to two people that were on your team. I don't know how. I finished in first place in this league. You get to freeze guys you really like. So if you had Tom Brady, you could freeze him and keep him. Got it. I didn't have any freezes because I had only one person that was even in the playoffs on my team. So basically, I had the best guys on crappy teams, like Andre Johnson, Torrey Holt, those kind of guys. But I finished in first place, so I was really stoked about that. I got some good money and redrafted yesterday and ended up with... Tom Brady. Wait, why would somebody not have... Didn't make the playoffs. The person that had Tom Brady didn't make the playoffs, so he was available. Really? Oh, wow. So, I have Tom Brady going into this week's game. That's crazy! How about that? Yeah, lucky.
That's pretty awesome. Yeah, so I'm pretty excited. You deserve it. I like my draft. You deserve it. Thank you. You're a great guy. Why does he deserve it? Why? He's a great guy. He's a good man. Thanks, guys. Why does he deserve it? He's a good man. You guys get me. He's a good man. Thanks, guys. Thanks. Let me tell you something. It's been a long time coming for this. I really, you know, I don't want to get too excited. You know, I mean, the game hasn't happened. You've earned it. But I appreciate your guys' support. Most of you. Of course. Congratulations. Thank you, Ashley. Even though Sky doesn't think you deserve it, and me, Ashley, and Sean, we think you deserve it. Apparently I'm a bad person. No, I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. But I appreciate you guys. I just don't know why he deserves it. Very supportive. My pleasure. My pleasure. It's weird to me. At least I can do. Sky is our news girl.
She's 30. Well, you didn't support him. I'm not a fan of yours. I'm not a fan of yours either. I didn't say I wasn't a fan. I'm just inquiring. I like when you wear this combination. It's cool. Me too. I don't like it. You do too. I'm not a fan. See, that's me. So was your comment. No, I did not insult you. I just asked why. Come on. Friends in 08, you guys. Seriously. Friends in 08. It's not working out. We're going to have to rethink that slogan. Skye, how was being in that tournament last night? I'm sure you won, right? Oh, it was so much fun. Did you make it to the final table? I had a blast. No. You did not? No. Really? Yeah. Shocking. Did your husband play? Hey, I didn't go out first, guys. That's true. Did your husband play? No, he played in the poker room, but not in the tournament. He did not play in the tournament. Oh, well, that's probably why you did. I did go far. Oh, you did? Yeah. How far did you make it? Well, because, see, what happened is the previous night was where that, like, murder hoax thing happened. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So the tournament the previous night was canceled. Oh. And so they joined both nights together last night. Holy cow. It was like over 200 people? It was huge. I don't know what the final count was, but, yeah, they were, like. Usually those are about 130 people. Yeah, they had, like, the suits, the dudes who normally walk around the suits dealing cards because they didn't have enough dealers. Like, it was crazy, yeah. So there were a ton of people there.
So it started at 7, and it was about 9 o'clock, and I was kind of short-stacked, and P1 wanted to put me all in, and I'm like, well, you know, it's 9 o'clock, I've had my fun, let's go for it, went all in, and I had pocket eights, he had pocket jacks, and that was the end of that. How far did you say you made it? I played for two hours. But, okay, so they hadn't started, well, I guess it's constant consolidating of tables. Oh, yeah, constantly, constantly. That's cool. So, yeah, no, it was a lot of fun. The P1s were way cool. We had a great time. All right. It was cool. Shawnee is our sound effects guy. He is 37 years of age, and he is a very tall guy. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is our, she's kind of our go-to behind the scenes. She does a lot of stuff behind the scenes. And she's got blonde hair. And she's a young woman. She's your typical young California gal. And we're going to talk to her later. She's great. She's got a dog. Thank you, Eddie. Yeah, I'm a big fan of her. Oh, my gosh. That's right. Thank you so much. She's very precious to me. That's right. Thank you so much. It's going to be a good day for you. Oh, yeah. I love Eddie. I like it already. I like it already. We're good.
Boston Rob's got his New England Patriots hat on right now, and he's 25 years of age. He's newly engaged to be married. He's from Boston, and he's a lovable cat. We love that guy. He's a phone screener and a friend of Zeth's. Zeth is the latest guy on the show. We don't really know too much about him or trust him, but he's a nice guy. Very accurate. He's very tall. He's about 6'3", 6'4", something like that. And he's very nice. Doesn't say much. And when he does, it's shocking. Never heard of it. It's nice to have him. Let's take some of your phone calls at 570-1053. P1 Steven. Hey, Mikey. What's up? I just want to let you guys know you have a great show. I listen to you guys every morning. Thank you. The first thing I want to say is I'm not... by far, a political person. I'm really not. I don't even like following politics. But in this case, I was hearing you and Eddie talk the other day about Hillary Clinton and how she got choked up and how this might and how you guys maybe felt unsafe and how a person with that much power, having the most power in the world in that position, needs to make the American people feel safe and secure. And I think what ended up happening is I got home that night.
And I shared this with my wife. And my wife doesn't listen to you guys' show because, you know, she doesn't even wake up until like 11 o'clock in the morning every day. But that's another story. But anyway, she was really upset at the fact that you and Eddie felt the way you felt. And she was totally the opposite. You know, she goes, the fact that somebody can show emotion, just because she showed emotion, she goes, that is why I'm going to vote for her, she told me. You know, she is actually a real person out there that's showing emotion. And I think that worked not against her, but with her, because obviously she won whatever she won. I'd love to discuss it. I would love to discuss it with your wife. If your wife ever wants to call in, I'd love to discuss that. Pick her up early. And I'll tell you what, your wife is absolutely right. I think it did work in her favor. She got more of the female vote in New Hampshire. than she had received in Iowa, the female vote in Iowa went to Barack Obama. And so I think that a lot of females went out and voted in New Hampshire, and it was right after she did the crying thing, and so maybe it had something to do with it. But you can go ahead and make your wife more upset, because I'm going to take it a step further today. Oh, my. Oh, wow. Let me hear it.
I believe definitely on January 10th, as I did not believe on January 9th, I believe definitely on January 10th, that was a staged event. Whoa! It was planned. This is very personal for me. I believe it was planned. Really? Yeah. And it came to me like that yesterday. As soon as I heard yesterday. What happened? Listen off the air, sir, okay? Okay. Okay. As soon as I heard yesterday that the news was reporting that the woman that asked the question that got her to cry voted for Barack Obama, I went, oh, so it couldn't have been staged. If it was staged, then she would have voted for Hillary. She voted for Barack Obama, this lady that asked the question that got Hillary to cry, and I went, something don't smell right about that. Something smells very fishy about that. I instantly pictured people going, because it, I mean, I heard it on the radio yesterday. All I heard was staged, blah, blah, blah, which I didn't necessarily believe, but I was like, whatever, your opinion, whatever. I didn't necessarily believe that it was staged. Even though I had knowledge of her staging people in the crowds to ask her questions, I knew that. And despite me knowing that, I was still going,
No, I don't believe it. And I'll be honest with you. I really searched my feelings about that yesterday. I constantly analyze what I feel. And I really wanted to know, why am I so unwilling to accept that she could have done that purposefully? And the reason that I don't want to go there and I don't want to believe that is because I think that's real bad. If that was planned, I thought, that's bad. That's not good. Fake emotion and manipulate the American public. And you know me. It is exactly in life what I'm repelled from. You know what I mean? And so I was like, no, I won't believe that. That'll upset me a lot. If I believe that, that'll really upset me. So I'm like, no, she didn't do that. She didn't do that. And then I got home and I signed on. to the computer, and CNN.com is saying, woman who made Hillary cry with question votes for Obama. And all I had been thinking up until that point is, I bet that lady was put there, you know, I bet that lady was, and I'm hearing all the talk on the radio about how it was staged and blah, blah, blah, and I'm thinking, I'm hearing it. Hillary's people are, how are they going to defend, how are they going to say it wasn't, it wasn't fake, it wasn't, how are they?
Well, if I'm in the room with her and I'm discussing with you, we're all a team, what are we going to do, guys? We all know Judy did that. Judy's for us. What are we going to do? Bet you that James Carville said, yeah, we need to get that woman to vote for Barack. Prove it. Have that woman say that she was for Barack the whole time. Case closed. Put it on the board. Oh, wait. What are the publicans going to say then? Publicans. Publicans. I'd like the publicans to come up with an answer to that one. It's not easy. It's not easy. It isn't. Shut up. Do you have the whole thing? Do you have the whole thing, Shawnee? Oh, yeah, I do. Understand. So this is the question to Hillary Clinton. How do you do it? How do you do it? Yeah, let me do this. Let me get it out of my system. Yeah, get her. Oh, my. Oh, my. Easy does it. I think we all need to chill out a little bit. No, we don't. I'm upset. Easy does it. You're getting worked out. Well, you're upset based on your assumptions. Yeah, based on my opinion, which is what we get upset about is our opinions. Right, but not based on any sort of fact. Facts are clear, Skye. Publicans. Publicans. Publicans. I'm not. Come on. Y'all, I got this one figured out. Don't worry. That's why you bought me here.
That's why I'm here. Figure stuff out. I ain't here to shoot skeet. That's right. What? I'm here to fix this puppy. Ain't no possum hunt. And Bill, you get out of the room, man. You're part of the problem. You're ruining it. You got your hands down with shorts. Come on. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. It doesn't fit. We're having fun. So, yeah. So, Ms. Clinton. How do you do it? How do you go out there every day? Here you are losing in New Hampshire. You're behind. You thought you were going to be ahead. By the way, Ms. Clinton, one of the criticisms of you is that you don't show any emotion. You're emotionless. That's what they're saying about you right now, Ms. Clinton. They're saying that you are emotionless. That you're very stiff.
That you don't have any personality. You remind everybody of their hardcore mom that grounds everyone. This was the question? Yes, this was the question. And you're behind. You're paraphrasing. Yeah, paraphrasing. Well, no, he's just blatantly making stuff up. And you're behind in New Hampshire. So how do you do it day to day? It's a long question. Go ahead. Wait, I'm sorry. Oh, Sean. I just lost it. Oh, no. But it was perfect. I know. Of course it was. What's going on? Do you have it? You're not going to have it? It's not easy. And I couldn't do it if I just didn't passionately believe it was the right thing to do. I have so many opportunities from this country. I just don't want to see us fall backwards. Wow, you really care. You are human. This is very personal for me.
It's not just political. It's not just public. Like it is for the other guys. Like it is for the other guys. Oh, right. I'm applauding emotions. You emotional lady. And some people think elections are a game. Not to you, though, right? No way. It's about our country. It's about our kids' futures. Wrap the flag around you. It's really about all of us together. Most of us put ourselves out there and do this against some pretty difficult odds. And we do it, each one of us, because we care about our country. Eddie's got a lighter. I wish that there was just one other candidate that actually was doing this for our country. She is. She is. Thank you. It's personal to her. It's not about games and politics. It's not about that. By the way, can we get that camera just a little further? There you go. As I was saying, it's not about games. It's not about staging questions.
That got me fired up. P1 Melissa is on the line. Go ahead, Melissa. I just want to say I totally agree with you that I feel it was staged as well. I mean, it worked for Bill when he was crying over the whole Monica Lewinsky thing. And, you know, she doesn't have any emotion. She's normally like Dragon Lady. And I think her campaign probably said, hey, let's, you know, get some emotion in there. That's interesting. Thank you. I thought that was a lady that smoked. That's what I've always thought it was. P1 Garrett. Yeah. Go ahead. Hey, I got a comment about her breaking down in tears. What's going to happen if we get attacked by Iran? Is she going to break down in tears and just give up? That's what I want to ask that dude's wife that wakes up at 11. Yeah, how about her? I want to ask her that. And she didn't break down in tears.
I don't want her to do that. I don't want her to get choked up. When Iran is strafing an American aircraft carrier, I don't want her to do that. When you need to show strength and show that our country is strong. Right now is the time for her to be strong. I'm down, but hey, guess what? My spirits are up. Persevere. Like our country. That isn't the way I would do it. If it were me, I'd be like, I couldn't help but show who I am. I shouldn't be president. Right. I ain't president, man. I'm a goofy talk show host. That's why. It works in this format. Don't work in the Oval Office and all that. They can order anything they want at any time from the presidential kitchen. Anything they want. It's delicious. Wow. Anything that they want? Seriously, it's one of the things about being president is that you can order. Anything. Could you get a pizza, pesto base with sun-dried tomatoes, pepperoni sausage, goat cheese? Come on, get weirder than that. And garlic? Come on, give me something good. Like, give me crazy. Yes, you can. Can you get a Boca burger heated up with steamed zucchini and squash, cut up, and then all mixed together in maybe like a scramble? Child stuff. Child's play for presidential. That's a child's play for the presidential kitchen. Season with some garlic salt. Oh, yeah. And some pepper. Yeah.
I'm in. I don't remember what movie it was, but Jeff Bridges plays the president. He orders a shark sandwich. Wow. Because that's what he wants. And the whole deal when you're president is, it's anything you want. That movie where the chick is his vice president, isn't it? Yeah. Yes. The blonde lady. Joanne something. Her name is Joanne something. And at the time he orders the shark sandwich, it's Christian Slater. who plays a junior congressman, is there talking to him. And he offers him some of his shark sandwich and he doesn't want any. But, oh man, would I use that up? I would tear that kitchen up. Constantly be like, yes, Mr. President. We sure can. Be right there. We'll get it right to you, sir. Yes, sir, we do. We now double toast it. Thank you. Thank you. I don't know where we're going to get venison jerky right now, but we'll get it. We'll find it somewhere, sir. We'll get it. We'll get it. I don't know any of this. Sir, we don't know what truffle fries are. But we're on it. But we'll figure it out. We'll do it. We'll figure it out. We got a great show for you today. Coming up here, before the hour is over, before the hour is over, we're going to hear from Phil Simms. Phil Simms. Yeah!
is going to be on the show. We're going to do a little something that we like to call Tough Love with Eddie. Oh, good. I'm feeling it today. Genius. Eddie is going to give advice. Yes. He is going to give advice to people who are in need here in San Diego. And they don't want to be just told things they want to hear. No, no, no, no, no. They want the real deal, man. The real deal. And Eddie's going to give it to them. Straight. Who's so lucky? They deserve it. People of San Diego. That's right. You deserve it. I got a great email to read to you from a guy that got a tattoo that he now regrets. And I can't wait to read that to you. We're going to play tone deaf karaoke. Ashley will sing. You'll try to figure out what she's singing. It's not as easy as it sounds for those of you that are new to the show. It is not that easy. I tap out. That was when Scott Stapp was still drinking. They got arrested at the airport that time. We all remember that incident. And, of course, we'll play, for those of you that didn't get to hear it at this time yesterday, because we played it late in the show, Rob's new song, Aunt Jemima. To the tune of Hey There, Delilah. Guy likes syrup. High class.
So all that's coming up. Don't go anywhere. And Ray Romano in the stand-up spotlight. I have to watch what I eat now. I hate that. Traveling is hard when you have to watch your diet because you go out to eat so much. I like going out to eat, you know. I like visiting the restaurants. But I get frustrated at breakfast. That's where I really have a hard time. Because I'm an orange juice drinker at breakfast time. Okay. I need a normal size glass of juice. I don't know what kind of shortage we have in our country. You know what I'm talking about, right? Yeah, you don't get a glass. I tell the waitress, please, large, large juice. No, look at me. I supersize my juice. It's a NyQuil cup, a NyQuil cup of juice. Welcome back. It is 643. Sources say that New Mexico's governor, Bill Richardson, will drop out of the race to be the Democratic presidential candidate. Antonio Gates was held out of practice yesterday. Looking like he's not likely he's going to play. A lot of stuff to go over today. So much material. This thing that Joy Behar said is upsetting a lot of people. If you don't know who Joy Behar is, she's the red-headed, loudmouth, from the TV show The View. And yesterday she made this comment that really upset people, specifically Elizabeth Hasselbeck, but, I mean, people in any part of the community that heard what she said and are upset about it. So we'll tell you that. We got him. Yep. Phil Sims. Phil, how are you? Good. Is this Mike? Yes, it is. Mike, how are you today? I'm good, man. It's great to have you on the show.
Well, thank you. Thanks for having me on. Phil Simms is an NFL analyst, of course, for CBS Sports and has one of the coolest jobs in the world, especially during playoff time because you get to travel around and see some of the best games and have the best seats in the house. Not a bad job. You're right. Let me ask you right off the bat, what do the Chargers have to do to beat the Colts on Sunday? What do they have to do? Well, you know, the first thing you always got to think of is that guy over on the other side. His name is Peyton Manning. That's right. I've heard of him. Yeah. You know, like any good quarterback, can you disrupt him enough? Yeah. Not only hitting him and sacking him. Because, you know, people say that about Tom Brady. Well, they hit him and they sack him and all that stuff. But you got to do it at the right time. And the right time, most of it, when you get him in third downs, can you? Can you get off the field? That is the biggest question of all. In San Diego, I know a couple years ago, they went up there and they kind of overpowered the Indianapolis Colts. But I think this Colts team, I'll say this about them, I think they're tough. I think they're extremely fast, even by NFL standards. I think they're the fastest team in the NFL, especially on the defensive side. Crowd noise, you've got to deal with all those factors. And my big thing was if I was doing the game,
Can San Diego get the game started without something bad happening? Don't let the crowd noise, let your quarterback get sacked and have him fumble. Don't let them just get the ball and rip right down the field and score and get the place in a frenzy where you have to wait another quarter before you can get it to settle down and play. So those are just a few things to look for if you're a Charger fan when a game goes on this weekend. We're talking to Phil Simms, and it would be great if we could get some of those breaks, too. Like the last time we played here, we got some of those breaks, and Darren Sproles ran back a couple of punts or a couple of kickoffs. And so if we could get those kind of breaks. Intercepting Peyton six times. Exactly, exactly. Yeah, you know, and look, you're not going to run the punch back or kick, whatever. That's probably not going to happen. Or you think there's, of course, very little chance of it because already – We know he's not going to throw six interceptions. But you know what? I think the Chargers are a lot better now than they were then, too. Hey, Phil, as a quarterback, analyze Phillip Rivers for us and his progression at this point in his career. And I mean from a football standpoint, but also just in terms of maturity. Well, I thought he showed a lot of toughness this year. I didn't get a chance to talk about it during the game. He got roughed up physically, I thought, during the year.
And I think he got roughed up a little in the papers and all that other stuff that goes with it. And I think that's all part of the process. I'm a big believer. NFL, it's about toughness. It's about being a man. And you need those kind of forces to go against you, really to make you a man. Because otherwise you just say, oh, well, everything is great and hunky-dory, all that stuff. Well, we know that's not the way it is. You've just got to be a fighter, and that's what he is. He's had a couple, I think, physical games where he's pulled it out for the San Diego Chargers and won it. I thought the second half of the game against the Tennessee Titans this past week was borderline magnificent. Now he gets to walk around the locker room, and you know what those players are saying? There's our man. And no matter what you say, I've been there, I've watched it from afar, and I've always been a big believer in it. You are different when you're the quarterback of one of these NFL teams.
They look at you as one of their teammates. They look at you as like a separate entity. You've got to get it done, and they respect that, and they'll do things for you. But most players want to be led, and that's what you've got to do as a quarterback, and he is doing those things. I think it's one of his strengths. He is a leader. Now, Phil Simms on the phone with us. Phil, if we had talked to you before the season started, would you have predicted that Norv Turner would have won his first playoff game in 07? If I had to guess before the season started, I would say yes, absolutely he would win a playoff game. Wow. Very, very high on the San Diego Chargers coming into the year. You know, I try to watch as much as I can of all teams. I've seen enough of them on TV, on film, everything else. And I know they've got a lot of good players. And I've always kind of liked Norv Turner's style of coaching, especially on the offensive side. I think it all came through late in the year, and it really came through against the the Tennessee Titans. So, yeah, I'm not surprised they won a playoff game. Of course, I had my doubts a few times during the year. There's no question. I'm not a fan. I go up and down. But they came through. They played very well. And they are going to be, listen, no secrets. We know they're going to be a very, very tough opponent for the Indianapolis Colts. Absolutely. We're talking to Phil Simms. And as a quarterback, Phil, as a former quarterback,
Let me talk to you about this thing that came out in the news yesterday. I want to get your take on this. Oh, boy, what's this? Tony Romo goes to Mexico over the weekend with Jessica Simpson. It's a big deal. They're in Cabo vacationing together. And everybody's kind of wondering, is that okay? I mean, on a week off, should you be back at the facility looking at film and preparing? In the midst of the playoffs. In the midst of the playoffs. Or is it okay, Phil? to go and take a vacation with a pop star? You know what it is? We're all kind of jealous. A little bit. Is it okay? Absolutely. So if you're the coach, Phil, you're all right with that. Oh, yes. The only thing I would wish is that, gosh, couldn't you have done it and not get caught and have to read all the papers? You know, Tony Romo's turned into a little pop star, and he's... You know, he's the NFL's version of, you know, he's on the Inquirer, that type of guy. Right. And, you know, when you date people with reputations or stars like Jessica Simpson, this is going to happen. It's not a distraction, Phil? No, it's not. Listen, when you're a player, especially a quarterback, his first time through the league this year being a starter all year long. He's tired. His productivity dropped at the end of the year, I thought, at the end of the year because he had to wear out a little bit.
get in the way and not thinking about it, refreshes your body, refreshes your mind, and it only makes you better. And that's why teams that have weeks off have such an advantage because it freshens you up and you're anxious, you know, nervous, you want to play this next game so bad, and all those factors, you're home, you're rested, you're anxious, and you can't wait to play, those are all good things. And so it doesn't bother me. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is just the fact that he always seems, Everything with Tony Romo always seems to find its way to the paper, and that would bother me. That is true. We're going to talk to you in just a second here about the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Year. I didn't want to bug you. Friday night, Phil, we were eating at the same restaurant, and I didn't want to walk over and say hi. Pamplemousse. Yes. Pamplemousse, yes. What did you have? Well, I was trying to go low-calorie, but, you know, it's kind of hard to do there. So good, though, isn't it? It is very good. They treat us great there. All the CBS, we always go there when we're out there. And I actually had lamb stew. Ooh, how was it? Of course. How was it? It was very good. Nice. I like to eat that kind of stuff. I don't know. I don't like, oh, give me the steak and the fish. I look for something a little different. A little different. And it was different. It was very good. Phil Simms on the line. And let's talk about me, though. What's that?
You should have bothered me. I'd let you buy me a drink or dessert or something. I should have done it. Phil Simms is on the phone with us, and I want to know about this FedEx ground NFL player of the year, which, by the way, isn't LT up for this award? He should be up for everything that has to do with anything on the ground. Well, he is. You know, it's FedEx ground and air because that's what they do, and I appreciate FedEx giving me a chance to work for them. There are three nominees on the ground. Okay. Fred Taylor, and the rookie Adrian Peterson. And who do you think are the three nominees in the air? Tom Brady, Tony Romo, and Fred Favre. Oh, wow. So you got to January 23rd at 12 noon. You got to go to FedEx.com slash football to vote. And the winners will be announced January 30th, the Wednesday before the Super Bowl out in Phoenix, Arizona. And the winners of... Each category, you get $25,000 donated to a local children's hospital, and there will be $25,000 donated to a children's hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, where the Super Bowl is being held, too. Vote LT. Great job with it. There you go. Next time you're out here, Phil, the truffle fries are on me at Pample Moose. Yeah, the truffle fries, yes. That's not low-calorie, but who can resist? I tore them up this past week, too. That's pretty good. You know, I'd like to come to San Diego once, though, where it doesn't.
Rain. Yeah, why do you bring the rain, Phil? Hey, you know what? It's kind of a good thing, Phil. That means you're here during the playoffs because that's usually when we get the rain. Oh, that's a good point. We want to see you out here. All right, guys. Well, listen, good luck to you. I know you're all big Charger fans. It's going to be exciting. I'm going to be sitting on my couch Sunday afternoon just like you, second-guessing the quarterback and second-guessing the coach and all that stuff, and it's going to be fun. There you go. Phil Simms, hey, thank you for taking the time, Phil. We appreciate it. Thank you. All right, see you. On the rock. Do we have him yet? What's that? Okay, great. Then tune up that banjo and let's get ready to roll because Cowboy Cal is on the air. Well, howdy. I'm Cal Worthy. Hey, how would you like to have a brand new 08 Dodge loaded? I mean loaded with everything you ever wanted and get $6,000 cash back. Well, does that sound good? Well, trade me that old car. I'll pay it off and I'll send you home in a brand new 08 Dodge loaded and give you $6,000 cash. Again, trade me that old car.
I'll pay it off. I'll send you home with a brand new 08 Dodge and give you $6,000 cash. And that's been Cal on the air. It's a bunch of women. It's a show where a bunch of women will sit. It comes on like after the Today Show. It's on like 10 o'clock in the morning every day. And their target audience is housewives that are at home and they like to watch these ladies sit at a table and drink coffee and discuss the topics of the day. Give their views. Give their views. That's right. Creative. Now, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, years ago she was on Survivor. That's true. And she's also married to a professional football player, Tim Hasselbeck. Matt Hasselbeck's brother, right? Correct. And she got pregnant and she had the baby and now she's back on The View. And yesterday, she's been back since Monday.
So it took four days. Right. Lightning rod. That's right. She's a lightning rod. And she got upset at these comments made by Joy Behar. Joy Behar is sort of the portion of the show. She's got that kind of voice, red hair. So accurate. Yeah, and Joy, you know, leans more to the left when it comes to politics and Elizabeth leans to the right. For sure. To the left, to the left. That's right. That's right, to the left, to the left. And so yesterday, Joy Behar said this, cut 46. But what about all the saint statues? Those are false idols. But it says you should not have any idols. People to pray to the statues all the time. An idol to one is not an idol to another. I'm going to get in trouble for this, but you know what? I have a theory that you can't find any saints anymore because of psychotropic medication. I think that the old days, the saints were hearing voices, and they didn't have any Thoracine to calm them down. Now that we have all of this medication available to us, you can't find a saint anymore. Mother Teresa had issues. Let's not forget, she didn't really believe 100% like these saints were hearing voices. She didn't hear voices, so the church said, okay, she does good deeds, let's make her a saint.
In the old days, it used to be you heard voices. They can't do that. They said you on fire. Don't forget what they did to Joan of Arc. She was hearing voices. They said you're on fire. That's why people stopped saying anything. Well, it was contrary. Before you had medication, they still were hearing voices. I'm telling you. I don't think they were hearing voices. I think they were committed to their faith and they go to death for it. That's my serious thing for it. Because I hear voices. I hear voices in my eyes. Oh, that was unbelievable. Oh, man. Unbelievable. When we play back the clips from The View, it's tough, man. Because they're all talking at the same time, and all their voices are real high, and so it's tough to listen to. For me, it's a lot like going to the pound. And all the dogs at one time are all... You don't want to hear it. And if the dogs were idiots, that would be the worst. Idiots!
But you know how they'll start the barking, and then what makes it even more annoying is that some of the dogs will be barking, and then in the middle of the dogs barking, you'll hear one that's going, That's the pound. That's what the view is like listening to, you know? I was infuriating. Well, anyway, so Joy Behar is saying that the reason that there's not saints anymore is because the way that you became a saint... was that you had to hear voices in your head, and now that we have drugs for that, there's no saints. God, that's the stupidest thing anybody's ever said in their entire history of the world. Well, there is no documentation of having to hear voices to become a saint. It's such an uneducated comment. Well, yeah.
The way you became a saint back in the day is you had to do these extraordinary things and almost supernatural things. You had to have a lot of different things to become a saint. And it had nothing to do with hearing voices in your head. Nothing, man. Oh, so they weren't hearing the voice of God? Hang on a second. Time out. Time out. Maybe. But before you go there, because I see what you're saying. There's nothing that says you have to hear the voice of God. So the whole concept is flawed. Like there was very specific things that made you a saint. Hearing the voice of God was not one of them. But did these saints hear the voice of God? I don't know. Or claim to? I don't know. Or claim to? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. But see, that would, in order for her thing to make sense, she would have to be like, well, to be a saint, you did have to hear the voice of God. There's nothing that says that. In fact, when I was kind of looking into it, I was like, oh, that's interesting. I wonder if saints had to hear the voice of God. They didn't. The thing to being a saint was to be virtuous and be living your life. That's what made you a saint. So this thing about hearing voices, like, huh? What are you talking about hearing voices? Maybe they did. I mean, maybe they heard the voice of God. And that could be, if they did, that's probably where she's coming from. You know what I mean? Not saying that they have to hear, but they were hearing voices. If saints heard the voice of God, she's saying... That's because they were crazy. But what does that have to do with becoming a saint?
That's because today, if people claim to hear the voice of God, they're put on a psychotropic medication. And that's, you know, what you're saying. Well, then let's continue your thought, Joy. The other reason that people are not saints anymore is because now we have designer clothing. And we also have a way of producing clothing that is not what the saints did. Back in the day, saints used to wear a very particular garb. Today, they have other things available to them. And so, you know. If we're just talking about stuff, oh, sandals too. Saints used to wear sandals and now we have flip-flops. So maybe that's why there's no more. Yeah, maybe that's why there's no more because there's no more homemade sandals and we went to flip-flops. Well, it's a strange thing. It is a strange thing. It's an odd point. Yes. The hearing of voices in the head. And what I take from it is, I mean, so that's one thing, what it takes to be a saint. But then we get the overall point. The overall point is that if you hear, this is Joy Behar talking, if you hear the voice of God. That doesn't sound like Joy.
If you hear the voice of God, you might want to look into some psychotropic drugs. Oh, okay. Eddie, is that what you're hearing? Yes. Skye, is that what you're hearing? I'm hearing if, yes, you go to your doctor and say you're hearing the voice of God, they'll put you on drugs to make it stop. Really? That's what I'm hearing her say. That's what you're, okay. Ashley, what do you think? What is she saying? I agree with you guys that that's what she's saying. But I don't think it makes sense. I don't. Vincent says he has more clarification on being a saint. Vincent. Hey, Mikey. Hi. The main criteria for being a saint has nothing to do with them hearing the voice of God. You have to perform a couple of proven miracles. Yeah. So people have to pray to you, and then if they're dying of cancer, and then their cancer goes away. That would be considered a miracle if they can prove, you know, get medical people to prove it. And there you go. So what she was saying, yeah, it's totally whack. It was weird, too, when Elizabeth Hasselbeck goes, well, what about Mother Teresa? And she's like, hey, she was messed up, too. She had issues. She had issues, Mother Teresa. But Elizabeth's not very bright, either, because Mother Teresa isn't a saint, either. Now, she's in the process. She's in the works.
She's in the process of becoming a saint. We're going to talk about who's a saint. My boy right here to the right, Eddie. Eddie, for sure. Eddie, for sure. I appreciate that, guys. How dare you, Joy? How dare you? I appreciate that, guys. Talk about sainthood. It's my boy, Eddie. Give me a break already. Why is everyone in love with Eddie today? Why aren't you? What, are you upset? Should we be on drugs? Should we be on drugs because we like Eddie? So we need to be on psychotropic drugs just because we support Eddie? Everyone's just over the top in love with Eddie. Guys, that dog that's yelping in the background. There she is. Rick Solomon is the guy that married Pam Anderson and they're getting a divorce and everything. Well, he says he knows why she's filing for divorce. I'll tell you what he said next. And how about a little tough love with Eddie? That's coming up next as well. Why can't you just have a coat problem like everyone else?

We do have a car broken down northbound 5 at Mile of Cars Way. That is in lanes. And that is slow, of course, tight through that corridor, getting through National City on your way to downtown. North 805, getting busy. Imperial Avenue up through the North Park area. And I'm John Monte with traffic on Rock 105.3. As a part of my personality, I'm both focused and all over the place. KIOC San Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I put things off. I do like to put things off until the last minute. Yeah.
I keep a log of my insults. You have a pretty log? That's what she said. Oh. Save that clip. Sean. I don't often drink milk, but when I do, I have to salt. Boston Rob. I got ideas, man. They're worth money. Ashley. I don't know anything about that. Save that clip. Save that clip. I won't and you can't make me. I won't. You will save that clip. I will not. I'm Rock 105. Some lip for the vid. Some can crack. A little Wyclef Jean. Why is she yelling stop it? Why is she yelling stop it? It's 7-13. A 20-year-old pregnant North Carolina Marine who is planning to testify about an incident she witnessed on base has been missing for almost a month. Reports are USC's head coach Pete Carroll is interested in the Atlanta Falcons job. I think that's a bad idea. So too.
You have a good life. You have a good life right now. Dude, this guy is a pretty younger college coach. He's got a dynasty there in USC. If he decides, you know what, that's what I want to do for the rest of my life, he will become the greatest college coach in the history of the game. Dude, he'll pass everybody. You know what, man? You know what I think is really a shame about it is that Pete Carroll, if he becomes the new Falcons head coach, He's got to go to the Super Bowl and win it. He has to win the Super Bowl. In order to feel like, why did I do this? I mean, what's the main goal of the NFL? What are you doing? What are you doing in there? You want to win the Super Bowl. Anything short of that, man, don't go there and get fired. Don't go there and lose, bro. Do not lose. I mean, that's out of the question. Pete has, I guess, felt that he's got work left to do in the NFL, that he kind of got the shaft in the NFL. He wants to go back to the NFL and show that he can coach there and all that stuff. We believe you, Pete. It's great. I love Pete Carroll, and maybe for the right job. Yeah. There you go. Wow. Yeah, maybe there's an opportunity, but this Falcons job, it's going to take a while, bro. Yeah.
Like, it's going to be a while. Yep. So Rick Solomon was a... Now, we know Rick Solomon because he's the one in the night vision porno tape with Paris Hilton in that hotel. Right. That's the whole reason we knew him to begin with, right? Definitely. Then we knew him because after that, you know, it obviously launched his film career. That was the beginning of his film career. And so then he was a star because, you know, obviously when you're on film, you're a star. And so... Right. In America. And so he became a celebrity because of that. And then he started dating. He started dating kind of starlets. He was dating young starlets in Hollywood. In fact, he kind of made the rounds. Dating all of the big names that you know. Well, about a month or two ago, he married, got married to, Pamela Anderson. On October 6th. That's crazy. And then about five minutes later, it was announced that they were separating, and then it was announced that they were divorcing. And he says that the reason that she filed for divorce is because her hormones are imbalanced because she's pregnant. Wow. What? Yeah. Oh, man. But she's still going through with the divorce. Yeah. Crazy.
So she's pregnant? But my question for Rick, but Rick, I thought a lot of women get pregnant. They don't file for divorce. The first I've heard of this. I definitely know that the hormones are all wacky, but it doesn't usually lead to filing for divorce. Why do you lie? Liar. You know what I mean? It just seems like a strange response. Bit of a leap. Big leap there. And so she hasn't said anything, but give it about 10 minutes. Yep. And I'm sure she'll make a statement. You ready to heal? Heal Pam Anderson? Let's heal the world. I can do it. I can do it. Start with Pam. If she writes in, I'll help her. All right. Nice. Tough Love with Eddie is a segment where listeners just like you get to go to your computers and write Eddie an email and ask him for advice. But Ashley is now, she's now saying to Eddie, I'm not worthy. The idea here is. is that Eddie shoots pretty straight. He doesn't mince his words. See, this mic, that's called the hip. That's the hip? That's where you shoot from. You shoot from it. Directly into someone's face. Sometimes that's what it takes. Sometimes that's what it takes to heal. Sorry, Eddie. It's true. But it's not very nice. But it's not very nice. Hey, listen, Skye. When you break your leg and the doctor sets it, it doesn't feel good. It is not pain-free. But you know what? He'll give me medicine.
That's what he's about to do. Thank you, Scott. So Scott gets it. Here comes your medicine. Our first letter reads, Dear Eddie, I am really upset right now. I'm so mad at my parents. All I asked them for for Christmas is tanning sessions and I didn't get it. They said no because I'm only 16. Who cares? Why does it matter how old I am? I want to be tan during winter. What's a big deal? I think they are really being totally unreasonable. It's not like I asked to get a tattoo or something. Can you try to talk some sense into them? Arg. I know what that means. Arg. A-R-G-H. A-R-G-H. Exclamation point. How would that sound, Ashley? Yeah, what does that sound like? Okay, I get it. She's mad. Well said.
That's signed P1 Kimberly in Rancho Santa Fe. Wow. Eddie? Dear the tan that rocked the cradle. I mean, this isn't my super sweet 16, darling. If mom and dad say no, there's actually probably a good reason. See, here's a little life lesson that... I'm going to give you that. It took even me a little while to figure out, but I'm going to give it to you now, okay? Everybody ready for this? I'm ready. You are stupid. That's not a life lesson. That's a life lesson. No, it's not. This is crazy. I know this is crazy. Your parents are actually much smarter than you. Wow. Probably true. So, I mean, that's a little something I learned. Probably true. It's a good point.
I also see you live in Rancho Santa Fe. I knew this was coming. Well, you know, you probably got a car for your 16th birthday party that cost more than my house. So relax, sweetie. Okay? Not getting tanning sessions isn't the end of the world. Now, knowing that your generation will be in charge someday is the end of the world. And on top of all this... Not looking like a shriveled up grape when you're 30 will be a plus two. So, my advice, stay out of the tanning beds and have mommy and daddy make out the check for the advice to Edward. Thank you. Two peas. Two peas and mommy. Two peas. A and I. Thank you very much. Perfect. Very good advice. That was perfect. Next letter. That wasn't nice. Our next letter reads, Hey, Oracle. What up? I heard B-Rob's new song about maple syrup, and I thought it was hilarious. It was. It was. That new song, by the way, is called Aunt Jemima, and it's coming up before the hour is up. Yes. Awesome. Yes. Great.
Anyway, she says, I heard the new song and it was hilarious. I love syrup too, but every time I have it. Who doesn't, Mike? Who doesn't? Every time I have it, about a half an hour later, I get really bad stomach cramps and have to go race for the bathroom. I know you're a doctor. No, I'm actually not a doctor. This is perfect. No, no, no. And you have degrees in psychiatry. No, I don't. Oncology. No. That's very well-rounded. Dermatology. Well, that I do. Oh, wait. You're also certified with the American Board of Gastroenterologists. I don't know where you're getting your information. I'm not. Whoa, hey, fancy dance. Yeah, well. Eddie, how can I have my syrup without all the other stuff? Thank you so much. That's signed. What? P1 TMAC from San Diego. What the? Eddie? Oh, good luck. Dear Mrs. Buttersquirts. Oh, my Lord. That's hilarious. That's hilarious. That is disgusting. I think it fits. I think it fits. What? Oh, my God. Listen, are you kidding me with this? I mean, you're actually asking me how you can consume maple syrup without making a Tijuana blowtorch. I mean...
All right, all right, all right. I'm going to throw something out there. Please. Maybe throw it against the wall like that. You know, noodle. Yes. See if it sticks. It won't. Here's something maybe you could try. Okay. How about not eating it? I mean, honestly, what more do you want me to tell you? That is a good idea. Okay, well, you know what? Here we go. How about we take a little trip to the magic fairyland and I'll break into the wizard's castle and... Steal his magic tum-tum pills. Then I'll have the fair princess sprinkle anti-number two pixie dust. So I can bring it back to you. And as you take it, I'll cast a spell that will swap your guts out with someone that won't turn into an exploding meth lab every time you eat. How's that sound, sweetie? Straight from the hip. Jeez. Here's my medical advice. I'm going to refer you to a specialist and I think you'll love him. His name is Dr. Kevorkian. Good luck. Your maple syrup quest. Straightforward. You don't? What else you got going on? I got a lot going on. Real letters. Come on, Mike. Give me a good one.
Well, our last letter here. Bring it home, Eddie. Our last one reads, Eddie. Yeah. Sup, dog. I love it already. That's what it says on the letter? It says on the letter, sup, dog, with two Gs. Long time no speak, J slash K. I don't know. What does that mean? Just kidding. Yes, J K. So long time no speak, just kidding. Right. Yes. Okay. What's up with Michael Vick, dude? Listen, I'm just, I'm reading right from the email. This is a letter? Eddie, sup dog, long time no speak, just kidding. What's up with Michael Vick, dude? Anyway, I got kicked out of my house by my mom for smoking weed and I need a place to live. I'm at my friend's house, but he said I have to move before the end of the month.
So I called my mom and said to be cool, and she was whatever. Are you sure you're getting all the punctuation? I'm reading from the email. You're missing some words, though. So I called my mom and said to be cool, and she was whatever, so I think I might go back. Do you know someone who needs a roommate and does tile flooring? If yeah, I guess he tiles floors. Oh, wow. Do you know someone who needs a roommate and does tile flooring? If yeah, hit me back, dog. Signed, P1 Nico. Eddie? Turd to your mother. Not your dog. Second, to answer your question, Michael Vick is in prison. Saving you a seat for chow. Oh, my God.
Okay, now that I've addressed the important stuff, on to your letter. So you've been kicked out of your mommy's house for smoking weed, eh? And now you're out of friends until you steal his weed and he kicks you out. And at that point, only Ashley's going to find you appealing. Oh, wow. They're going to take a shot at Ashley. Wait, wait, wait. Actually, that's not true. You're right. That's not true. You would have to call her from jail. Have her bail you out, loan you some money, buy you some food, and be tall. This is very true, actually. Nothing he's saying is inaccurate. Actually, you know what? Let's scratch that. I think even you think he's a loser. But listen, if worse comes to worse, maybe taking an ad out in the reader or something. Lovable, weed-smoking, evicted, couch-laying, male-seeks idiot. You're not. Must be willing to allow me to smoke weed and like Michael Vick simultaneously. Also, I lay tile. If this sounds like you, dog, hit me back. Then leave your number and see what happens. You know what? Just try it out and you never know. If no one calls, hit me back and I'll text you Ashley's number. And once again, don't call me dog.
There it is, Skye. Do you hear it? I don't hear anything. That was perfect. You're coming up Poway Road of healing. Welcome, San Diego. The Mikey Show. That's the ultimate hang zone. All right. Don't they put the little bars up so you don't shut up? What about Life Alert? Sean falls out and he can be like, Help! Help is on the way, Sean. Who is this? This is Life Alert.
Send someone over here. What is the problem exactly? I fell out of the bed. But are you a grown man? Yeah, I am. How does that happen, sir? Don't turn a humiliating scenario into something worse. But we're just concerned about you. Just send somebody, will ya? Like who? A forklift? I don't know what we're sending. It's a Mikey show. It is 7.32. Dr. Phil's people are saying that he's standing by his statement regarding Britney Spears, even if her family's upset. The Golf Channel suspends one of their anchors for saying Tiger Woods should be lynched in a back alley. Yeah, you want to hear that? It's crazy. It is. It was on the Golf Channel, you said, Eddie? Yes. Cut one. As you said, to take Tiger on. Well, yeah, maybe they should just gang up for a while. Lynch him in a back alley. Yeah, that's right. Wait a minute. I forgot he's black. What did you say? Lynch him in a back alley. You can't say that. No. You're not allowed to say that.
get really upset. Big things. A couple of the big things out there today. That's actually one of them. A lot of people are talking about that today. But another one of the big things that people are talking about today are the comments that were made yesterday on the Today Show by Lou Taylor. Lou Taylor is a woman named Lou. And she is a spokesperson. You already don't trust her. She's a spokesperson. For the Britney Spears family. And you got to know who the players are in the Britney Spears family. You got dad. His name is Jamie. You have mom. Her name is Lynn. You have the oldest daughter, Britney Spears. And then you have her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. So here is family spokesperson Lou Taylor talking about Dr. Phil going to visit with Britney. Now, remember.
Dr. Phil says the family asked me to do it. I was only doing what they asked me to do. The only reason I was ever there is I got phone calls and please go see Brittany. Help us, Dr. Phil. That's right. Cut to. What is wrong with Dr. Phil's statement in the family's estimation? Well, what's wrong with Dr. Phil's statement is that he made a statement. The family basically accepted. extended an invitation of trust for him to come in as a resource to support them, not to go out and make public statements. Any statement publicly that he made because he was brought in under this cloak of trust are just inappropriate. So, you know, we feel like to set the record straight that we need to say that. But, in fact, they did invite him in to see their daughter. That's correct? Yes. Lynn Spears has had a relationship with Robin, and he was invited. It was an invitation, but he was not invited to make this part of a public display or part of the media. Now, there is no doubt in my mind that if Dr. Phil is walking into Cedars-Sinai, it's going to become a story. And if I'm her parents, I kind of, I know that.
I know that pictures of him walking in there are going to be a story and people are going to say, are you going to visit Britney? What did you say to her? Blah, blah, blah. I think that what they thought he was going to do is say, I'm sorry, that's a private matter. They thought, what they didn't necessarily plan on him doing was releasing a press release. And then going on entertainment tonight. An exclusive. An exclusive on Entertainment Tonight that they feast on the Today Show. How much y'all want? Give me. I'll take the highest bidder. Entertainment Tonight, how much? Okay, cool. So they didn't expect him to release a press release and to do a thing on Entertainment Tonight and then to try to drag them in on the show. But what about that? What about Dr. Phil saying that he was going to do a sit down in the studio with Britney's parents, Lynn and Jamie? Cut three. Were they ever going to do a show with him about intervening in an adult child's life when that child has troubles? No, they were not.
No, they were not going to do a show. There are many professionals and many resources that get vetted between this team of people that surround the Spears. And Dr. Phil did broach that issue, and it was vetted amongst the team, but it was decided that that would be detrimental for anybody to ever do that. And so we really felt like, to me personally, being part of this team, I felt that too was inappropriately for him to even be self-serving in bringing something like that up because that would not be a vector to get Brittany help. I just think it would have been wrong. Well, and I think part of the big question here is, you know, what are Dr. Phil's credentials and is he a doctor or whatever? And this was from last night with Late Night on Conan O'Brien. Dr. Drew Pinsky was on there talking about just that. Cut 26.
And here's the other question. I don't know. I just heard this today that Dr. Phil, I guess he's not a real doctor. Well, he's not a physician. He's not. I'm an MD. You know, I went to medical school and I practiced general medicine and addiction medicine. He's a psychologist and I don't think he has a license in California. So, you know, going into. No, no, it's true. I mean, you don't have to. Can I just call myself Dr. Conan from now on? Dispense medical advice on the show? Funny you. Well, after seeing you dance, I'm not so sure it's a great idea. Now, Eddie, you're a doctor. What do you think? Is this something that you should have done from the very beginning? I want to know. Does that make people like you lose credibility? I don't have a license. Oh, you're a PhD. No, no, no. I see. Well, there is a lot of doctors on radio, TV, a lot of doctors out there. Larry King live last night. Same topic. Dr. Phil, Britney Spears. Last night, Larry King, Dr. Laura Klesinger. Oh. Kind of spit there a little bit. Cut 15. Supervision. Well, I don't really understand what that was about, but I was particularly horrified when this pathetic situation and this poor, sad, sick girl is now going to be used as a television show for ratings. That made me very sad, but I understand that's been yanked, so at least somebody had good sense and some taste. Aren't you on a television show talking about it, too?
Yeah, what's the difference, really? What is it? Love be higher than thou. Yeah, and don't you ask people, like sick people, people in need of mental health advice to call into your radio show or radio? Toll-free? Every day? Is it toll-free? I don't know. I sure hope so. I hope people don't have to pay for that. Seriously. Holy Toledo. P1 Paparazzi is on the line. Oh! Eddie Smiles. Now Eddie's going, what is it, two times in one week he's asking? I can't have I don't know if we need to be doing this to him. P1 paparazzi. We don't deserve this, Eddie. He is a P1 that takes a lot of pictures. There he did. When we were doing our appearances, he would take a lot of pictures, and so we ended up calling him P1 paparazzi. He is a gay man. He does make some pretty good points on the radio sometimes, and today he's got a pretty scandalous comment. P1 paparazzi, otherwise known as Brad, says he thinks Dr. Phil did nothing wrong. Is that right? I don't think he'd do anything wrong. It would be the same idea as if you need to do a small claims court and you call the judge from people's court and say, hey, I want to do the small claims court. You can't get upset when you show up to court and there's a bunch of cameras in there. I don't think they're upset that the cameras were there when he showed up to the hospital, though, Brad. Well, when they call him directly rather than going through his people, they call him directly and say, hey, Dr. Phil, I want you to talk to Brittany.
Of course he's going to try to make it part of a show because that's what he is. But Brittany didn't call him directly. If they don't go through the channels and say call the TV shows, you know, his people and say, hey, we want Dr. Phil to come out and talk to our daughter, they call him directly and talk to him directly and say, hey, can you come out and talk to Brittany and take care of this for us? But, you know, Brad, the reason they did that is because they're friends with him. Yeah, that's a huge part. They're friends, yeah. Family friends. The thing about it is that they're family friends. That's why they felt comfortable calling them. Okay, but at the same time, if you're a friend with the judge from People's Court, it's still, you're probably going to have cameras in there. Judge Millian, she's the best. I think the reason that it's a little bit different is because with the People's Court, you know that there's going to be cameras. But what you don't know... You don't just go around judging people outside of a courtroom. Well, that's true, too. I didn't think of that aspect of it. Listen, it's like this. If your son gets into some legal trouble and you happen to be friends with Judge Wapner, you may call Wapner because he actually happens to also be a judge, a retired judge. You may call Wapner and be like,
Boy's got some legal issues here. Can we talk to him and see if you can figure that out? It'd be one thing if he goes there and there's people taking pictures, because it's Wapner. He's famous, okay? It's another thing for Wapner to send out a press release saying, here was me wapping it up all over the place as Wapner. And he's making a whopper out of everything. Yep, and then he ate one. He had a whopper. If you call Wapner and say, hey, I want you to try his case for me. and you think he's going to do it discreetly in a court without cameras, you're going to be wrong. Of course he's going to make it part of his show. Not if you're friends with him. If you're friends with him, you might think that he might give your child private advice and not... press release it you might maybe you're plus you're not going to the television studio like he's you know exactly if britney's parents had called dr phil and said hey can we send britney down to your studio to talk to you okay paparazzi you got a point there but if britney is hospitalized and dr phil as a family friend is called hey our daughters really needing some help can you go talk to her two totally different things i think i think they're kind of i think they're different but
Hey, man, to each their own. Great point, Brad. Oh, no. That was a good call. Don't read into it, Brad. Yeah, Brad, don't analyze that comment. You'll have Dr. Phil at your hospital room in a second. Good call. Oh, no. Just take it at face value is all I'm saying. You're the best, man. Oh, no. Hang on a minute. Oh, gosh. Eddie doesn't care for paparazzi. Mikey Show, hello. Oh, wow. Oh, no. So here is Dr. Laura. On Larry King talking about Britney herself, what she was upset about Dr. Phil doing. Here she is doing it, 14. The family called Dr. Phil. Dr. Phil went there, but apparently nothing came of it. Give me your take. Well, my take is that between Federline and her, we have at least four children who are going to have terrible problems. And my heart aches. for the lack of the intact family, for the lack of the mommy and daddy who are going to be involved with them, for the media attention that's going to be in their lives. It's just all very, very sad. And Brittany's sister now making a baby as a teenager herself out of wedlock. And just the chaos that these four people have brought into the lives of children is... I wish it were criminal. That's what she was just criticizing. Right. Hey, I don't know...
I don't think we've talked too much about Scott Evelyn, but he's the kid that got hurt in the football game here in San Diego. Where is he from, Skye? San Marcos. It was at Mission Hills High School during a football game on September the 14th that he suffered a brain injury and then was in a coma for a month after that. Okay. So he's back in the news today because his insurance is what? Blue Cross of California. Blue Cross is refusing to... pay for him to stay where he is yeah currently um or as of last check he was at the palomar medical center's acute rehab unit so trying to get rehab trying to make
progress because you know after being in the coma and the brain injury there's a lot of work that needs to be done um so you know he needs a lot of help and blue cross says he's not showing any progress we don't feel any more progress is going to be made in his case so we think he should be put in a nursing home or should be sent back home with you guys to you know, just kind of live the rest of his life at the status he is. The trouble with that is you're not making any progress. You're basically determining his fate. His fate, if you do that. Right. Now, this is an issue that, this is a big issue in the United States right now. Healthcare. It's jacked up. It's so messed up. It really is. It really is messed up. Now, I'll tell you one thing that I have observed. If you make enough noise, stuff gets done. Aaron Brockovich. Yeah. Seriously. It's the truth. You make noise, you scream and yell, something will get done.
Yeah, and it's really sad because even the director of the hospital says that Scott was improving and recommended that Scott should continue to receive this higher level of care and not be put in the nursing home. I don't understand that. That's infuriating. But the insurance experts disagree. Why do we pay insurance then? If the doctors are saying that that's what he needs, why do we... But see, now, do you guys... Remember about two weeks ago, there was a story of a girl that needed some sort of a transplant. Liver. Liver transplant. Insurance company said no. So her family and her friends started protesting outside of the place. I love that protest. That's a protest I can get behind. Because that one's going to cause some change. You start picketing out in front of there and you make a company look like monsters, that will cause some change. In that particular case, it got embarrassing enough for the insurance company that they said, okay, fine, we'll give her the liver transplant. Too late, she died. Now, in this case, I think change could be made. If enough people make Blue Cross look like monsters, change could be made.
And that kid, they may reverse it, and they may decide to pay for this kid. Yeah, so the news yesterday was, you know, because the parents did appeal the decision, and the news from Blue Cross yesterday was that they are rejecting their appeal. It's not loud enough yet. So now the parents are going to take it to a state agency to try and get them to try and overturn the decision. It's got to get loud. The screaming isn't loud enough right now for Blue Cross. It's not embarrassing enough. This is a story that's maybe being talked about in San Diego. Now, if it turns into a story of, wow, insurance companies are monsters. Look what they do. First they show the story about the girl dying. Then they show this poor kid here in San Diego. And then they show people standing out front saying, Blue Cross wants people to die. Blue Cross wants people to not heal. You do stuff like that, it gets real loud. What they need to do is get a hold of the TV stations. TV stations need to get a hold of national media. They were protesting yesterday, and they were on the local news as well. But like Eddie's saying, yeah, you've got to reach out on the national news. I'll offer our show. I will offer our show. If that family needs us to make noise in San Diego, let's make noise. If we need to embarrass Blue Cross for being monsters and not paying for that kid, you're monsters, Blue Cross.
You're freaking monsters. You're ghoulish. You're giving up on this kid. That to me is ghoulish. Yeah. It's like those gargoyles outside of castles. That's Blue Cross to me. Those creepy monsters. It's garbage. You're talking about it. I wonder the people at Blue Cross that signed and said, sorry, this is the way. I wonder if they have kids. Right. Because this isn't a case of just like he doesn't need it. They have kids and they want to get an extra bonus for coming in under budget so they can buy their kids a new Ferrari. That's fine. That's fine. It is America and we're allowed to do, you know, we're allowed to have a voice. And so I think, yeah, if you, if that family, I'm saying if you know Scott Evelyn's family, if you know them, talk to them and tell them that the Mikey show would love to make noise on behalf of their son about Blue Cross. If we could help in any way. That's monstrous to me. It's so creepy and terrible. So if they need our help in any way, we'll help out if we can. I'm sure Wyclef Jean would. Mike, it's Wyclef Jean. It's Wyclef Jean. Yeah. All right. Even though it's spelled like that. French. Well, it's spelled like Jean then, right? It's French. It's spelled J-E-A-N. That's Jean to me. It's Jean.

I have my knowledge in my head. He's the Oracle. I don't need notes, Skye. When my hands become saturated in water, the palms get like... Disgusting. They look like a son. Most of you don't like you very much. Boston Rob. You guys know that if I don't write stuff on my hand, I'm an idiot. And Ashley. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I am an oyster. You keep saying it, oyster, but you know the real deal. The Mikey Show's on. Top of the morning to ya. 105.3. Welcome back to the show. It is 7.54. Pam Anderson is moving forward with her divorce from Rick Solomon. He says she's pregnant with his child.
Bad loss for the Aztecs men's basketball team, losing yesterday to Northern Colorado, 62-56. We got P1 Darren on the line, and Darren is Scott Evelyn's cousin. Is that right, Darren? Actually, I'm his dad's cousin. He's my second cousin. Gotcha. I guess. And I just heard you talking about you guys can make some noise and stuff, and I'm just wondering what we need to do. You know, I'll tell you what the answer is. The answer is to get on the news. The answer is that it needs to be a public embarrassment for the insurance company. It needs to be bad PR for the insurance company. The insurance company has to look heartless, which they are. Pretty much, yes. They have to look like that. Sky? Well, I don't know. This is just a suggestion.
Excuse me. Reach out to John Edwards' campaign. This is a huge issue for John Edwards. And one thing that he's been talking a lot about in his different campaign stops is the story that Mikey just told about the girl in the liver transplant. He's against lobbyists. He's against these big insurance companies deciding who gets care and when. And so this may be a story that he can embrace, he can fight for, and he can get national coverage for. I don't do this very often. I don't agree with Sky very often, but Sky's right. John Edwards will take advantage of any situation, and this one he would be glad to take advantage of. Wow. More help. Depending on, you know. I mean, as long as it helps a campaign. Now, let me tell you something. And help Scott. And help Scott. I mean, if that guy will announce his candidacy standing in the ninth ward of New Orleans. Okay, but anyway, I digress. Anyway, I think she's right. Honestly, I do believe that that's the kind of thing that could get it done. I mean, if he saw that as an opportunity to get his message out, he could do something. Okay, so that's one example of what you could do. Another example of what you can do is you start to put together...
you start to get your family, your friends, and if you need us to organize P1s and announce where it's going to be, you put together protests in front of the insurance company places and then you press release it to the different news agencies and say, this is when we're going to be protesting and come film us. And then you hope that it gets picked up nationally. And while they're out there and they're interviewing people, say what Sky said. Say we're sending letters to John Edwards. This is what John Edwards is talking about in the country right now, a broken health care system. And bring him out there. Bring your cousin out there so that those cameras can see who the insurance companies are saying no to. Put a face behind it. Yeah. All right, man? That's my advice. Then we'll get back with you and let you know. If you need our help, let us know. Yeah, we definitely need some help. They've been pushing us around for a while. It's awful, man. It's awful. And I do think that there is stuff that we can do. We don't have to just go, okay, that's the deal. My niece, yesterday I heard from my mother that my niece was sick. Went to a doctor because she had pinkeye and what do you call it, bronchitis.
And so she went to the doctor and she has an insurance card. She used the insurance card and got a bill for $1,200. And she called them and she said, this must be some kind of mistake. I've got insurance. I even used it when I went in there. And they said, it isn't a mistake. You owe us $1,200. But if you pay it before February 2nd, we'll take 20% off of it. But you do need to pay it. And I said to my mom last night, tell her, my thing was, she lives in Arizona, and it was almost identical to Skies. I told my mom, tell her to write Senator McCain, because Senator McCain is her local congressman, and see if he'll do something. Use politicians. Use them. That's what they're there for. All right. But it's terrible, the stuff that's happening. I appreciate it, man. Thank you for calling. You want a car that costs $2,500? Yes. $2,500. Brand new car. Is that possible? Well, it only has one windshield wiper. I'm going to tell you a few things about the car. Okay? All right. It's pretty no frills. Okay? No radio. No. It's $2,500, you guys. No radio. One windshield wiper.
You got to go to India to get it. Now, wait a minute. Hang on a second. And don't forget no AC. That's a big one, especially in India. No air condition. No AC. But in India, Tata Motor Company is... That's the name of the place? Tata Motor Company. Are you serious? Yeah, Tata Motors. Okay. That is correct, right, Skye? Yes. Tata Motors. Yep. He's offering the brand new only right now. Brand new. Come on down. $2,500. That's for you. I'm talking deals, deals, deals. The car is called the Nano. The Nano. Like the iPod? Yep. We don't know that that name is already taken. I mean, of all the names. We didn't know. It's going to get sued. Yeah, we didn't know that. And so, anyway, we hope you enjoy. $2,500 for a brand new car. And the reason they're doing it is because they know a lot of people can't afford a car. And so they want you to have a brand new car. It's just that it doesn't have any frills. Yeah, but it gets great gas mileage because lots of people are... It's a camel. Of course it gets great gas mileage. Lots of people are concerned in India about this adding to pollution and congestion on their already congested roadways. And the maker of the car, Tata Motors, says that it averages about 50 miles per gallon.
Tata Motors. Check into it. Their rivals, Chi-Chi's, are really... The Tatas and the Chi-Chi's are always fighting with each other. It's crazy. Joe E. Tata? That's right. Ford and Chevy. Yeah, so for now, the car's only being sold in India, but they hope to export it one day. There you go, Zeph. All right. What do you think about that? We can export a new car, finally. That Zeph does not get a lot of airtime. In fact, he is mostly treated as the little brother on the Mikey show. Who is he? He's the seventh member of the show. You just heard him speak. Never heard of him. I would say it's fair to say, right, Zet, that you are the little brother of the show? Yeah, that's fair. He's also like the Jason Newstead of the show. Constantly hazed. He'll grow out of it. Hope so. I mean, all little brothers grow up. I did. I got it bad from my brother, Steve. Did you? Steve, it was bad. Mark and Sam were too old. They were old enough to where I didn't really get a lot of razzing from them. But Steve would make me look in the bathroom after he did stuff, and it was terrible. He would drag me. What do you mean? He would drag me and make me look. And that was another humiliating...
That was, let me, I'll be honest with you. That was what was so humiliating about it was the, how unorthodox it was. Like other kids weren't being hazed in this way. Is that why you have all the bathroom issues now? Privacy, like how you are, like have to have your own bathroom, like privacy, like, you know, like, you know, like you don't like to have any type of. No, that's an issue of. my own embarrassment of myself oh you know i don't i don't want to share that with anyone i want that to be my own thing that only i know about and i'm aware of that was the opposite that was my brother needing everybody to be aware of it see subconsciously you're probably maybe it's a loop maybe if you would have gotten to a different paradigm and were understanding how proud he was of his accomplishments, maybe you would have been more accepting of his behavior. You refer to that as an accomplishment? I didn't see it. It could have been. I'm going to tell you that as Eddie said that, I'm going to tell you that as Eddie said that, it struck fear into my heart because that's the way he sold it to me. That is the way he would always say when he was dragging me, and I mean dragging me.
He was dragging me. And when he was dragging me, he was laughing. And he was saying, I want you to see. I want you to see what I did. Look at his face. Brothers do terrible things. Sisters do too, my friend. Sisters are sweet girls. Both of you choke on each other. I don't know what that meant. Sorry. My sister was the worst human being on the planet. Give me one example. I'll give you several, but this one in particular, I was telling my family about over Christmas break, to which they all laughed and thought it was very funny. It's not cool. One time, I was the younger brother, so I always wanted to go in her room and hang out. Of course. Bothering her, obviously. But, you know, I didn't know. I was a little kid. Well, one time she says, yeah, come in, come in, yeah, but you have to sit in that chair right there. And so I naively walked over, went to sit down, and then looked before I sat, thank God, and saw a giant carpenter tack on the chair, ready to pierce me and kill me, probably. Oh, God.
Kill you. You never know. In the bum. Infection. Okay. Now, you didn't sit on it, right? No, I didn't. I got up and I was very upset and left. My dad thought it was very funny, though. I'm sure that just enraged you even today. Absolutely. Well, Sky's brother used to stick her in the couch. The couch that turns into a hide-a-bed. He would pull the hide-a-bed. He'd kind of pull the hide-a-bed out. And then he'd stuff her in there and then put the hide-of-bed back. That's crazy. Who are you, Skye? Three months old? Three months old? No. That is brilliant. I'd say this kind of stuff went on pretty much from birth. I mean, not specifically the couch, but the... From birth? That makes me immediately think you're full of it. So he went to the cradle and lifted you out. Went to the bassinet. You're not listening to what I'm saying. The infant out that had just been born. You're not listening to what I'm saying. My brother would, you know...
beat me up and do stuff to me. From birth. The sofa bed thing. So he went to the hospital. Why couldn't you just give a real answer? Why do you have to say from birth? I have pictures of me as a baby. Being punched in the face. Being pulled away from my nursing mother so that he could stuff me. I'm in my diaper. I'm naked. I'm probably one years old. He's standing over me with his foot on my chest and gnawing on his hand. How old is he? What? He's a year and a half older than I am. So he's two and a half? Wait a minute. So at a year and a half old, he was doing all this stuff to you? Well, no. Terrible twos. It's the picture I have. Terrible ones. Are you kidding me? You're ridiculous. It's the picture I have. I'm probably about like one, one and a half at a time. So that would mean he's like two and a half. So he's two and a half. Yeah. Of course he's going to do that. He's a baby. He's a two and a half year old. So basically from that time all the way till I was probably about. I'm just hearing this for the first time. 12, 13. We got to hold on. We got to pause. All different kinds of beatings. I've known her. I've known. How long have I known you? How many years have I known you? How many years have I known you? How many years have I known you? Wow. Like between eight and nine. I've heard the story.
I've known her eight to nine years. I've heard the story before of her awful brother with his foot on her chest holding her down. Oh, you have? Every time I've heard that story, I've imagined a 10, 12-year-old kid. It was happening then as well. They were in diapers. They were in diapers for crying out loud. It happened from diapers all the way until... I'm sure it really affected her too. That memory of that. Diapers. She had to see visual evidence in a photograph to know what even happened. From that age all the way through. Give me a break. You have a picture? What do you mean? You have a picture when you're older of him doing that? Oh. No, because I don't think my parents thought it was cute anymore when it kept going like that. They didn't like cameras by that point. 570-1053. But there was the pinning down, the spitting in the face, drawing the spit back up. That's a good one. That is the worst. It will inevitably, they won't be able to, it's too late. They get too late, decide to suck it back up. Well, that's your worst fear. That's your worst fear. They wait too long. No. Suck it up now. Suck it up now.
Oh, you got me. The gum in the hair to the point where big chunks of hair had to be cut out. He would put gum in your hair? Yeah. You'd have to cut your hair? Yeah, yeah. That is Jack. No, not at all. He would come up to you and he'd like squeeze the gum in your hair? Oh, this was on a cross-country trip. So we're somewhere in the middle of Arizona in my parents' VW van. How old? Like maybe seven-ish. Bubble gum in the hair. Nothing we can do. Have to pull over at a rest stop, take out the scissors, and cut a huge chunk of my hair. That's on your parents, guys. Don't allow them to chew gum. I have a question for Eddie. Yes. Percentage of chance. Call Skinner, dude. Skinner. Percentage of chance. Call Skinner. Baby angel right here. Percentage of chance that something preceded that. Oh, Mikey, what are you talking about? 100%. Sean. So, Eddie, with your sister. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. I wasn't like you. Eddie, I knew Eddie. Oh, shut up. You're awesome. You're a bad person. I'm not a bad person. Sean. Percentage of chance. Whatever. Sky provoked him. Well, I'm going to have to give it a high number because these stories, they morph and change over time. What change? We don't always get all the information. Can we get him on the phone? Your so-called brother.
Can we get him on the phone? Yeah, if you want. I want to hear this so bad. I want to hear his side of the story. Thank you. I've never heard it. That's a great point. I've never heard his side of the story. All I've ever heard is what a monster, and I'm always like, I wonder what happened. You were around when my sister would torture me. Yes. And I never did anything. Dude. It was emotional. It was awful. It was every kind of torture you can imagine. Right. Did your... Brothers or sisters, Torchia, 570-1053. P1, Zach. Hey, how's it going? Good, man. What would your brother or sister do? My sister, when I would kind of irritate her a little bit, she would always, we had this, by our house, we had this brick wall that was part of a structure when we were younger, but it got tore down. She would always take me back there, and she'd slam my head into that brick wall, man, and just blast it in there. Holy cow! No way. She's six years older than I am, man. When I started getting older and everything, I started really realizing what she was doing. I hated it. It pissed me off. What I would do is in the kitchen, my mom put me through karate and stuff like that. I slammed her right in the back of the head with my heel. You knocked her out? Yeah.
Did she ever mess with you after that? No, not anymore. That usually stops it. That's good. Usually ends it. Fuck on that. Thank you for the call. I'll tell you what, man. The brother and sister stuff can get crazy. Skye, what's the worst he did? The couch? Well, there was... Pushing me off the bed and breaking my collarbone. What? There was slamming me against the wall when I laughed at him when he was playing Super Mario Brothers. But the couch and locking me in this little closet in our VW bus were the most traumatic to me because of claustrophobia issues. Right. How long were you in said couch? Oh, man. Hours. Minutes. I mean, really, literally, it had to have been seven, eight minutes. It felt like days. It did feel like days. It was like two seconds. It felt like days, but I... Real-time 43 seconds. I would guess maybe like 20 minutes, half hour. I don't know. Oh, you don't even know. I don't really remember. That's a long time. Yeah, because it was probably like 10 seconds. You know, it pisses me off the... It pisses me off the... Because you're just like my brother. I don't exaggerate when I tell my stories. I don't either.
You just said 25 or 30 minutes. I don't know. Friends in 08. I don't know. Friends in 08. Don't forget. Friends in 08. Friends in 08. I didn't have a timer when I'm locked in the frigging sofa bed. Question. So you're exaggerating. So I'm guessing. Question. Was the couch indoors or outdoors? Indoors. It was indoor couch. It was in our guest room. Yeah. Now, where were mom and dad? I don't think they were. Not in the house. I don't think they were home. They were not home. No. Now, that can be weird because then you're like, I might have to wait. Tell mom and dad, come home. Yeah. Oh, and then there was the time he chased me with the knife, and I ended up running. That happened every day at my house. Eddie's been there, done that. Every day at my house. Every day. That sucks. I'm sorry you didn't do that. I'm sorry you didn't do that. That sucks. Thank you. What was the collarbone incident? I was very young, and we were jumping on the bed, and he thought it would be funny to see how far I would fly. So, like, when I jumped up, he pushed me, and I went. Oh, well, that was you guys playing, right? How far did you fly? I don't know. That was you guys playing and it became an accident. Like, because my brother Mark was spinning me around. My arms popped out of the socket. That wasn't him being mean. We thought we were having fun. I was playing Let's Jump on the Bed. Yeah. And he thought it would be neat to push me and see how far. I mean, I had no consent in Let's See How Far I Could Fly. And no means no in this case. I didn't even know it was coming. Yeah. Oh, you're fine. That's kind of funny. P1 Go Cubbies. Hey, what's going on, Mikey? I got to start. Go ahead.
I'm the youngest of three, and my brother, he used to hold me down while my sister would open up her toes like her big one, the little ones right there. She'd open her toes and pinch me on the legs so hard she would leave bruises. My brother did that. My brother did the toe pinching. I've never even heard of that. Oh, dude, the toe pinching is the worst. It's torture. It's humiliating, too. It's humiliating, too, because you're being pinched by a toe. Not cool. But there's a lot of power in the big toe. Yes. They take the thumb toe. Force times gravity equals mass. Yes. And they would stick your chubby little legs, and they would squeeze, and it would hurt. Ouch. I remember that. That sucks. But what I used to do is I got smart, and I grabbed a spoon out of the kitchen. I used to keep it in my pocket. So every time she'd try and do it, I'd whip out that spoon and slap her on the thigh as hard as I could. Nice, nice. That's great when kids battle back finally. Yes. That's awesome. Now let me ask you something, Go Cubbies. How old is this sister now? She's 27. And how old are you? I'm 21. Do you guys get along? Oh, yes. She has three of my nieces, which are very beautiful, and my brother has one boy.
We're all just a big happy family. It is cool how it eventually turns out. Yeah. It is cool how it eventually goes. Are we getting your brother Sky or not? Zeth is getting my cell phone so I can get his number. Gotcha. P1 Maria, are you there? Yes. So you had three older brothers. Yes. Oh, I'm so sorry. And what was the deal? One of them loved playing darts. And when he got bored of throwing darts to the board... he would throw him at me. He gave me the opportunity to grab a piece of wood or something, and I had to either try to skip it or catch it with a piece of wood. Oh, my. The hysterical part is the brothers say, like, in his mind, hey, I'm giving her a fair shot. Yeah, it's not like he's throwing it at her for no reason. That is horrible. Hey, I told her she could get a board. That is so dangerous. Well, he made it fair. I made it fair. I let her get a board. That's the worst. You're not going to lose an eye if you put the board in front of your face. Don't be stupid. Don't be dumb. It's called Shield. No way. That's great. So he never got me with a dart when he used to do that. And one time I was like, our kitchen was right next to this wall that had that was all wood.
And he would throw him there. And I was in the kitchen. And one went like, you know, it just flew to the side. And it got me on the neck. And I didn't even notice it. Holy cow. He ran to me. And so he just, you know, he's just like, oh, wait, wait, wait. And I said, well, what happened? He's like, the dart, the dart. I'm like, where's the dart? And I didn't even feel it. And, I mean, from that moment on, he treated me completely different. I'll be honest with you. I kind of feel like throwing a dart at you right now. Why don't we have to throw a dart at you? I'm being honest. You were whining about attack. This chick had darts thrown at her. First of all, I do have sympathy for people in my situation. These little girls, little sisters. Thank you, Maria. And they deserve what they got. Maria, thank you for the call. P1 Lazardi. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? What's up, dude? Hey, I'll tell you, one time, you know, we did this dangling of spit and stuff, my sister, but I threw a cockroach on her one time in the kitchen. She grabbed a glass ashtray and hit me in the head with it. It put seven staples in my head. Holy cow. Yeah, I was unconscious for two days. Oh. That's brutal. You went unconscious for two days? Woke up in the hospital, and my mom said I was screaming in my sleep about $10,000. I mean, I was looped. Wow. How old were you? How old was she?
I was 11, and she was 17. What kind of trouble did she get in? Well, she said that she threw it to scare me, and it accidentally hit me. So they didn't punish her that bad? Well, she got whooped pretty good, my mom, but, you know, the whole thing, right? I really got screwed up, though. If I make a mistake today, I blame it on the ashtray hit. Yeah, I don't blame you, man. I don't blame you one bit. Thank you for the call. Hi, Mikey. Have a good morning. Thank you. Yeah, I was almost drowned three separate occasions by my sister. What did she do? Well, two times while we were camping, she was supposed to be watching me and wasn't. And I fell into like the river and almost drowned twice. How old were you then? Really young, like three, four years old. That's so scary. And then when I was a little bit older, probably about... like 9 or 10, a ball went onto her. We had an above-ground pool, and a ball that we were playing with went onto the pool cover, and she told me to go get it, and she would hold the pool cover tight so that I could walk on it, and I believed her. And I got out to the middle, and she let go, and I fell underneath and went underneath the pool cover. That's very dangerous. Yeah. And so my mom came out. P1. Oh, it's your heart, Eddie. Thanks, Sasha. P1, old man. Very scary. Yeah, my brother used to pin me down.
bare butt and fart on my face. Yeah, I get that, too. You got the bare butt? No, no, not bare butt. Not bare butt. We're talking the difference between a shotgun and a sawed-off shotgun. Yeah, not bare butt. Yeah, it was bare butt. That's not that bad. Wow. I'd be screaming, too. So, of course, you know. Thank you for the call, P1, old man. That's so gross. Do we have your brother? I guess. What line? What line? It's not up here on my call screen, so I don't know which one. Seven? Yep. Joe? Yeah, hey Mikey. Oh, we're so sorry, Joe. Joe, I thought... I knew this day would come. Well, listen. This day would come. I just... I want to get your side of the story because we've heard her side of the story for so many years. Every time... It's like Nicole Simpson over here. I know it. Now, every time, Joe, that I've ever heard that you had your foot on her chest, I always imagined her being 12, 13 years old. She just said you guys were wearing diapers and it was so cute your parents took pictures of it. Oh, no way. Yeah. See? He doesn't deny it. So what? Now tell me. Yeah, because it's no big deal. Now tell me about, we were talking about the gum incident. She said that you guys were traveling across the country, somewhere around Arizona, you put gum in her hair, and I said to Eddie, I wonder what. See, he laughed. Did you hear him laugh right there? Did you hear him laugh? It's classic. And I said to Eddie, I go, I bet she did something to precede this. Provoke it. Yeah, and she goes, no, I didn't.
So I want to get your side of the story and see how you remember these incidents. Oh, well, I mean, you know, this was like 20 years ago, so it's pretty hard to remember it, you know, in exact detail. Right. But, you know, we were in a motorhome going cross-country for about a month, so you can only imagine. Yeah, you get a little fed up. Was she a bratty little sister? Um, no, not necessarily. Joe, did I need to provoke you or would you just sometimes come at me for no reason? Well, sometimes. I want to know about the gum issue. I was a bad kid. See, I didn't need to provoke him. What about the gum issue? Oh, I don't know. I don't know. Sky, do you remember? Uh, no. I have no idea. Okay. Yeah. So what you're saying is, is that... I was an angel. She was an angel. Yes. Of course. No. You never... Who is this really? This is your brother. Yeah.
Is this an actor? He tried to kill one of my good friends many times. Which one? Because maybe she deserved it. Jenny. Yeah, deserved it. Jenny didn't call me Jenny. No Pocket Reno. Pocket's gorgeous. You're talking about Pocket Reno? Yeah, firing BB guns at her head, throwing meat cleavers at her. Well, her head was in the clouds. She was such a big target, it was hard to miss. That's true, too. She's right. She was tall. It's not the girl's fault that she's tall. I back him up. She was like 6'2 in 6th grade. I mean, that girl is gigantic. That's right. All right, Joe, thank you for proving your existence. All these years we wondered if you were real. I still don't believe it. He still doesn't believe it. I have a lot of questions. When she says she has a brother, we're like, yeah, right, whatever. Thanks, Joe. Okay, see you guys. Wow, weird. Crazy. Well, he says that he was a bad kid. That's not really her brother. I'm not buying it. I think it was an actor. Good morning, family. This is The Mikey Show. Tires and Suzuki motorcycles present the San Diego County Ford dealers, Monster Jam. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress.
But my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest World Class Paris Plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah. Two days ago? Two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man. My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris plush. She really deserves a good mattress to sleep on, and I can't wait to sleep on it with her. Signed, P1 Norfus. You want that to be your story? Sleep trains are everywhere. Check one out today. Precinct. I'd like to report an assault. What happened, sir? Last night at Wendy's, I was stack attacked. Was there a weapon? Two beefy, hot and juicy burgers stacked with cheese. Hold on, if you're yanking my... No, no, the stack attacked double cheeseburger. It's only 99 cents. 99 cents? That's a red alert. Gotta go.

The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. It is 8.33. Sources say that Bill Richardson will drop out of the race to be the Democratic presidential candidate. T.O. was held out of practice yesterday. Looks like it's doubtful he will play against the Giants. Why? What's his deal? Spray nickel. Still has that sprained ankle. What about Antonio Gates? Antonio Gates is looking doubtful, too. He was not in practice yesterday. But it looks like Lorenzo Neal is going to play. He returned to practice yesterday. That's good news. That's very good. I just ate hot sauce, and my mouth is on fire. Yeah. All right, welcome back to the show. Let's see. Did I get the new audio? Do I have the new audio page? Yeah, I believe so. Zethian? You should.
Let's see. Oh, I think it's on the printer. I'll get to it in a second. I'll get to it in a minute. Lots of things for us to discuss. Eddie got into it with a checker at Vons yesterday. Well, I wouldn't say I got into it. What happened? Did you kick her butt? No, it wasn't like that. It was more shock and awe. She scolded me for not wearing a jacket and wearing shorts. Wait, scolded you? Yeah. It was very uncomfortable. What happened? Well, you know. I'm not a chit-chatter in convenience stores or things like that. I don't like any kind of chit-chat. I want to do my business and get out. Well, I could tell this checker was kind of like a chit-chatter. But I was like, well, if she sees that I don't have this great smiley face or whatever, she'll just leave me alone and I'll do my stuff and get out. Well, as soon as I get up there to the front of the thing, she looks at me and she goes, what are you, crazy? And I'm like...
what like what i don't even know what's going on like what did i do right and i go what and she goes no jacket and you're wearing shorts and i'm like i look at her and i have this confused look and i go well i go we live in san diego right and she goes it's freezing out there what 70 in the middle of the store and i'm embarrassed and so now i'm kind of getting angry and i go well i go um i'm 34 years old Just in case you're confused, like, I need a mommy. I'm 34. I'm good. I can dress myself. Shut up! And she's like, oh, well, you need to get a jacket. Dude. I'm telling you, man. Sorry. This is what it makes me wonder. It makes me wonder, like, it sounds like she probably had a kid. Something happens. I think that parents must always feel that they will be parents forever. You know what I mean? The job doesn't stop because you leave the house. Same exact thing. Last night, I'm 37 years old, and I took Jake to my mom and dad's last night. And when we got out of the car, they came outside to meet us at the car. And when we got out of the car, same thing. I was wearing shorts. And my mom and dad still. I mean, it's happened 150,000 times. They've seen this.
Every single time they will say, ooh, Mike. Both of them. The face is sad. Concern. Concern. Genuine disappointment. Disdain. Yeah. And also, we didn't raise you to be an animal. We didn't raise you to be feral. You're not feral, Mike. hate you. You're not a feral animal. I get that from my folks, too, whenever I go up and see them. Are they kidding around? Well, it's my mom, mostly. My dad could care less. But my mom is like, Eddie, you're wearing shorts? Yes, Mom. I don't even own pants. I only wear shorts. My parents say, Mike, aren't you cold? Well, I know I've answered this before. I answered it yesterday, Mom. And I know maybe you think it's changed since then, but no, I'm not. If I were, I'm a grown man. I would put pants on. Sure. I wouldn't wear the shorts. I'd be cold. Right. Aren't you cold? No. We're not shoveling our cars out from the blizzard that hit Ma. You know what I mean? Stephen Colbert.
Oh, so funny. Now, Stephen Colbert's left, right? He's left, right? Yes, but he plays a right-wing talk show host. Okay, because I don't know anything about him. I didn't know that was the deal. Yeah, that's his deal. So his deal is pointing out how ridiculous the right is by pretending to be that. An over-the-top. So he's an over-the-top right-wing conservative? Yes. That's funny. It's hilarious. Because I always wondered, why is Stephen Colbert so popular? I didn't know that. That's the first time I've ever heard that. That's funny. Now, I know it's going to be funny against my party, but still, that's pretty funny. Funny's funny. What are you going to do? Oh, man, it makes me want to do that. It makes me want to be. It's kind of why I have my son being a liberal. Right. It's kind of why my son is running for president. Yes. My son's 16 months old yesterday, and I'm having him run for president as a liberal, as a Democrat. On the Democratic ticket. Obviously.
And I think that's the idea that I had, but I didn't really. Now that I've heard that, that's it. Yeah. He's got to be over the top. So anyway, Stephen Colbert had Mike Huckabee on his TV show last night. Cut 47. McCain, he's got big Moe, if you pardon the expression. How are you going to stop him? You're a man of the faith. He said he will hunt Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell. Will you hunt Osama bin Laden all the way into hell? And beyond. I will charge hell with a water pistol if necessary. I like it. The stuff they have in common. Oh, no. You know this is going to be the stuff they have in common. Cut 48. Do we both still feel that evolution is a farce? It's all a farce. Good to hear it. Where do you stand on global warming? I do think we've got to be better stewards of the environment. And frankly, we need to take better care of this planet. You know what I say? I say we hit the environment hard before it hits us. This is payback for earthquakes and hurricanes. How about outsourcing jobs? As long as it didn't mind. Ditto.
As long as it isn't mine. Hey, listen, I think it's the right place for him to go. I think it's a good idea because Huckabee's funny. He's got a natural sense of humor. And I think that it paints him in a positive light if he's able to go on a show like that and have fun and not be a D. For sure. Illegal immigration. Now, this is where Huckabee has come under fire. In the conservative Republican world, the guy that I like is... bad in the conservative Republican world. He's like a liberal. And so, cut 49. You are being attacked, and I think in this case rightfully so, for not being harsh enough on illegal immigrants. Is it true that you do not support building a pneumatic tube to fire Mexicans back to Guadalajara? Because I heard that you're not supporting that. I'm not quite that harsh.
Does not support that. Oh, he doesn't. No. That would be cool, though. To go on record as saying he does not support that. Colbert did, you know, remind Huckabee that he's still willing to be his running mate. Oh, good. Yeah. Wow. Well, let's see if he takes him up on that. You need a little yin-yang-yang, you know, when you have a running mate. That's true. You need it in Mira Mesa, too. You need a little yin-yang. That is no question about it. I mean, I think that goes without saying, to be honest. Tom Cruise saved a woman. Go. He saved her life. He's a hero. He's a hero. Really? He's a hero, man. That's right. Was it Ethan Hunt? It was not Ethan Hunt. Oh, okay. No, but close. Yeah. It was very close. Did he have that little Hitler haircut when he got out of the car to do this? No, but he did have the mustache. He had the Hitler mustache. Can you imagine Hitler comes to save you on the side of the road? I'd be like, no thanks. Yeah, I'm good. Thank you. I'll pass. I'll wait for Osama bin Laden.
Well, she was stuck in the snow, and Tom Cruise was driving by with Tom Cruise's wife. And all the kids, the adopted kids, and baby Suri all in a big Hummer. And they were driving in a Hummer. They saw her broken down on the side of the road. They jumped out. They helped her out. Yeah, her car was stuck in a snowbank, so I guess his Hummer had one of those wench things on the front, and he hooked it onto her car, pulled her out. I bet you'd do something like that, Eddie. He's given the opportunity or the chance. Eddie, you're a good person. Thanks, guys. I would try. And if you did do something like that, you know, I doth my cap together. Off the air, Sky was really irritated that Ashley is like... Acting that way towards you. Acting what way? No. I was asking Eddie why he's hating on me. You said she's kissing his A. I said everybody is kissing his A. And then I went on to expand that Ashley is way up his colon. Right. And I said... And I said... And I didn't understand why all of a sudden today.
Really? And I said, I said nothing. I agree. Thanks, Mike. I just stood there. Well, it's shocking and it's rude and it's uncomfortable. Because I'm a jerk because I'm not kissing your A. Nobody's kissing my A. Everybody's being normal but you. That is so not true. Out of nowhere, Ashley just said that you would do that and that you're a hero. Out of nowhere? Hello? Where's the wrong in that statement? I think I would. It's insulting to think that you wouldn't think that I would. You did tough love with Eddie and she gave you a standing ovation. Did you hear his advice? I think he deserved it. It was perfect. Awesome. What's going on today? I'll tell you what's going on. You're acting weird. Maybe I should just call it a show today. Eddie, if you do, I will. You leave, I leave. Don't let her affect the show. Maybe she's speaking for everybody. No, Eddie, she's not. No. She's not speaking. Well, I trust you guys. You're my friend. She's not speaking. You guys know... We've got to get into this. Oh, man. I did not know that apparently cooking...
is something new that Sean's wife is doing for him. She usually cooks for him. And so she's been doing this thing now where she's cooking for him. Is that right, Sean? Yeah, like every night. It's been so great. I love it. Why? How did it start? Why now? You know, it's a really good question. I think that she just found that she had some extra time in the evening before I get home and decided that she'd like to cook. She's been doing it. She's been doing great, too. That's really nice. Yeah, it's been really, you know, good food. Yeah, so I guess last night she made this chicken that it was like he was having a gag down. Now, Sean. That's not true. Now, Sean. Now, wait a second. Now, hang on, Sean. Now, wait a second here. You wait a second. What's going on? Well, I guess she went and got a chicken, right, Sean? A raw, whole chicken. And what happened? Well, it was like one of those, you know, butterball type chickens, you know, where it comes like wrapped and, you know, sealed. And so she, you know, made it and she roasted the whole thing in the oven. And I didn't have the heart to tell her that all the, like the neck and the innards and all, it was all still in the chicken. Now, I have a question. It's not supposed to be. No. What?
Like I know. Well, Ash, you don't want to leave that stuff inside there, right? When have I ever bought a chicken and cooked it? Well, I don't know. How would I know that? Well, now I'm thinking about that. I'm thinking. Yeah. If a person gets a chicken for the first time, are they supposed to know to take out that gross stuff? I did the same thing once where I bought two, like, cornice... Cornish game hens and I never had cooked them before. I have a question about what you did though and about Ashley and about Sean's wife. Is it a question of you just didn't even know it was there? No, I had no idea. And I would stick the thermometer in the Cornish game hen and it wasn't reading correctly and I'm like, what is going on? So I pulled them out and it looked like you know, there was blood coming out of it. Right. And so I cut them open and, you know, they put in there, in the cavity, like the innards and neck and gizzard. Why? In case you want to use them for like a gravy or something like that. Some people like them. And so, and so now, I mean, they did that once. I like to just pop them like chicklets myself. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. They're really yummy. Like potato chips? Yeah, just like potato chips. Like a chip? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Well, what I do, I do it like M&M's. I throw the gizzard up. I touch it in my mouth, you know.
Sometimes it'll stick to my, it'll hit my face. It'll hit your tooth, but then not go in your mouth. Yeah, it'll hit your tooth, but it'll stick there. Yeah, but it'll stick to your tooth and slide down your chin. Oh, that's the worst. So Sean, was the chicken cooked okay? Well, because I can't imagine that cooking properly. Well, what did she do to the outside of the chicken? Okay. Well, first of all, okay. She seasoned it perfectly. Like she had like all these herbs and stuff and put it all around the whole outside of the chicken, which was really great. And she roasted it in the oven, but she put it like breast down. So it was kind of like upside down. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was okay. It was okay. But so after an hour we go and we check the um the breast it's like oh it's great you know and so we started to cut the leg off it just was sort of pouring out so awful so we we put a thermometer in and we put it back in the oven and we put it in for like another half an hour and then when we took it out that's when i noticed like the neck thing was like it was bursting out of the
Now, she didn't notice any of that? No, she didn't notice it. And if you didn't know what you were looking for, you kind of wouldn't know that that's what was going on. But I knew it was going on. Did you tell her? You should have told her. No, I didn't want to tell her. You didn't? So she won't do it next time. Hold on, but she worked really hard on it, and she was getting very upset because it was taking a long time to cook. Give her a little instruction, Sean. You're just mean now. I'm not being mean. I'm trying to be a good husband. So you ate it. You're terrible. Was it good? Actually, it was good, yeah. But it was... Just a little gizzard-y. Well, no. I mean, it was just hard to get rid of that image of that neck bursting out of its mouth. Well, you know, a lot of times what people do is they'll fill the cavity with lemon or, you know, herbs. This one was filled with gizzard. Gave it that nice gizzard-y flavor. And when they put that stuff in, they usually, like, wrap it in, like, some parchment paper or something. So I'm sure there was paper and stuff. Plastic with metal ties. That's right. That's so good. Ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha.
So gross. That is really gross. Your good husband. I think he's a bad husband. Yes. From CNN, this is Chris Rock talking about Hillary beating Barack. Cut 12. You've publicly endorsed Barack Obama. So how did you feel when you woke up? I endorsed Barack Obama. How did you feel when you woke up this morning and saw what happened in New Hampshire? Because Hillary's won. Hillary did win. Hillary did win. So far, but we're going to ask for a recount. We're going to ask for a recount. And I think when this recount comes in, it'll all be clear. No, no, no. It's a long race. It's a long, long race. And, you know, he's a guy no one heard of two years ago. And she's, you know, the wife of the president, of, you know, a two-term president. So there's some advantage there. Here he is talking about race and the White House. Cut 11. You know, you have... Barack and Hillary. That's pretty much it. People understand that Bush has done a job that is so bad it's made it hard for a white man to run for president. So everyone's focused on this black man and this woman. And if a raccoon wants to run or a giraffe, that'll be fine too. But no one wants to see a white man run. Chris, is anybody off limits to you? Cut 13.
anybody off limits for you? I mean, obviously Hillary isn't, Barack Obama isn't. Is anybody off limits? You know, I kind of stay away from Oprah. Why? Because I might need a billion dollars. I'd piss off the only black person with it. Why would I do that? He's got a point there. I think I'm going to start being nice to her for that reason. I'm black. What if one day I need money and I'm trying to get money or something? Right. Hey, did you guys hear about the little girl that got left at Chuck E. I'm Steven calling in about the AIS insurance. What's going on, man? My home state of Nebraska and actually called in when they could beat it. And that's kind of crazy because they beat it by $300 every six months. Whoa. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Because, I mean, as you know, it's probably cheaper. Absolutely. Yeah, and it saved me $300. And, yeah, I'm pretty stoked. And I wanted to personally thank you.
Dude, I think that's awesome. Did you go down and fill out your paperwork and all that yet? I did. I went out to the Escondido location. Very nice. They hooked it up, dude, and they told me to tell you what's up and all that good stuff. Was it easy? It was way easier. It took me like two minutes on the phone driving down the freeway. You said $300 every six months, so $600 a year. Yeah, when it probably would have cost me, you know. It went up to like $800 after I got in an accident from the raft, and then it went down to like $400 here. Dude, that's awesome. So it's pretty crazy. So I appreciate it. Thank you very much. And yeah. Congrats, bro. All right. Take it. We'll see you. There's Steve. Steve or Steven. I don't remember. You said Steven. Listen, call AIS right now. 1-800-777-4AIS. 1-800-777-4247. I'm on my next cell. What are you doing on that thing? Just talking to you, bro. What up? Hi, President Bush. That's the way, man. Job's over. I'm a free man. It doesn't mean you can start smoking marijuana. I do whatever I want. I'm not president no more. No, wait, I'm done. No, it's not like New Year's Day. You're done. It's November of... And even then... No, they're electing somebody in Iowa. No, no, no. It's Mikey. Mikey's show continues. Welcome back. It's 857. A 20-year-old pregnant North Carolina Marine who was planning to testify about an incident she witnessed on base has been missing for almost a month.
Three Chargers were named to AP's NFL All-Pro team. LT voted unanimously. Oh, that's good. Right? Yeah, this is a weird story from WFAA in Dallas, which I believe was Channel 8. I guess he's parents. They went to Chuck E. Cheese. Took their kid on Saturday. Didn't notice she was missing until Monday. Cut 38. I want my baby real bad. Real bad. I want my baby real bad. Two-year-old Almedia James went to a cousin's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese on Hewlin Street in Fort Worth on Saturday. She was left there alone. Police only knew her as Mimi until they released this picture and asked the public's help to identify her. I come over here and I call 911 like I'm supposed to do. The family describes the incident as a misunderstanding. James thought Mimi was with an aunt.
That aunt thought the two-year-old went home with another aunt after the party. I really don't even know what happened. I know it wasn't purposely done. I know it was an accident. I ain't faulted nobody for it. The hardworking father lives at this Fort Worth apartment complex with his three children and their mother. He supports them by working overnights at a local fast food restaurant. He worked all weekend. On Monday, he started asking questions. When I went over there, there wasn't nobody there. My mom said she didn't hear it. I called my sister. Her phone didn't answer. Part of the delay, the family does not have a home phone. It really is obviously a very big miscommunication, and it's something that causes concern to anybody. The family does not have a CPS history, and no criminal charges will be filed. A CPS hearing is scheduled for Friday morning where they will determine if Mimi goes home. I do not understand. So the little girl is being watched by one of her aunts. Okay. There's a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Saturday. The aunt takes the girl to the birthday party. Right. And I guess the aunt believed that another aunt was going to take the girl home. And that aunt believed that aunt number one was taking the girl home. So they both left.
thinking that the other had taken the girl and this girl is left at chucky cheese so the parents believing that the little girl is with the aunt they're not faulting anybody they're not faulting anybody because they thought the girl was with the aunt the one aunt so there's a because i didn't hear anything about a mom there's a mom i heard the dad talk but there's a mom and she's saying the same thing I heard the dad talk, and then I heard him talking about how he works overnight. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's the deal with the mom? I don't know. Maybe he's the only guy in charge of the kid. Wow. And so he's working. They're taking care of the kids, so he thinks, and then he finds out Monday, oh, no one knows where she is. Right. She's safe? Yeah. She's in the custody of another relative until they have this hearing. The dad can take the girl back. But, you know, part of the problem, like they said, is the guy doesn't even have a phone. So to contact him and to get in touch with everybody to figure out where this little girl was was really hard. Holy cow. She's so cute, too. Is she? Yeah. Well, as long as you're not faulting anybody. I got someone to fault. The parents. You better believe it. Oh, no. Well, what about the aunt? I mean, shouldn't we be faulting the aunts? Yes.
It was miscommunication. But it wasn't miscommunication. That's why it always comes down to the parents. They're the ones who have to make sure that they know so there's no miscommunication. He thought he did. He thought it was all squared away. Listen, if I... Well, what I'm a little confused about is if he asked... It sounds like they're aunts. So it's like maybe his sisters, okay? Right. So was... Do you think that the deal was like... He asked them both because he didn't want to put the burden on just one of them. So can you share the time? Maybe. I mean, that would make sense. Maybe. Because I'm trying to connect the dots of like, well, why did they both think this? Why did they both think this? And so somehow they both thought it. And so he left them with his sisters thinking it was all going to be okay. I can't fault the guy for that. No, he can't. Mistake happened.
And the sisters each thought something of the other way. So you're not faulting him? No. Wow. No. Uh-uh. You are, though, right, Eddie? Well, I ain't faulting nobody, first of all. Right, you're not faulting anybody. Put that on the record. But I do have to wonder, so you go a day without knowing where your daughter is and you're okay with that? That's strange. How old is a kid? I think two did they say? And nobody's fault in the kid? Like, that's where I'm going with this. That kid is hiding in the ball pit. I love the ball pit. It's his next... That band rocks at Chuck E. Cheese, okay? So... P1 Marlo. Hey, yeah. How you doing, Mikey? Good, man. All right. I kind of understand where he's coming from because I was raised in a family that has... You know, we had a huge family and we just had aunts and uncles all the time, but...
I mean, my mom worked overnight, and, you know, it kind of happens. I'm not saying that I agree, but it kind of happens. It just, you know, honestly, it honestly sounded like... So, to be clear... It sounded like a situation where nobody knew what was up. So, to be clear, you're not faulting anybody either, sir? No, no, no. Don't get me wrong. I fault the huts. Like, if it was me, then, yeah. I mean, technically, they're the ones that are at fault. Technically, they're the ones that are at fault because they didn't communicate correctly, but... I agree. I just think it's weird that what Eddie said, he didn't like check up, call to see how his daughter's doing, call to talk to her, anything until like a day and a half later. Well, you're not going to talk to a two-year-old, Ash? You're not? Well, I mean, if the two-year-old is still like babbly, you know, I don't call right now to talk to Jake because they can't talk. Jake's not two. He's 16 months. And I know families where, you know, money's tight. People are working hard. So they share responsibility. Like, okay, you're going to be with grandma for two days. And then you're going to go to your aunt's. And then on the weekend when I don't have to work. Honestly, this is honestly what I thought. Swear. Like, you know me. I'm usually ready to jump all over people. And I'm being honest. I thought, dude's working overnights, which I've done. And when you get home, all you want to do is sleep. Yeah.
So I guess we could say, well, you know, if you were a cool guy, you'd call when you got home. But maybe when he wakes up. When he wakes up. Okay. Maybe you call when you wake up. Now, this is Saturday that they go to the Chuck E. Cheese and he calls on Monday. So if he worked the overnight Saturday, he got up on Sunday and he didn't call. And you don't call and go, hey, is Kiki doing okay? Okay, great. I'll pick her up tomorrow. Hit the button. Thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I know exactly what you're saying. You know what I'm saying? Like, that is a situation where I think, eh, I give a little leeway. But I see where Eddie's coming from. Like, yeah, I guess you could call and say, is everything okay? Yeah, and not that... It would have solved this. And not that fathers should be held to, like, a lower standard, but...
You know, to me, it sounds like this guy's doing what he can for his family. He's working overnight at a fast food place. They can't even, you know, afford a phone, but he's present in their lives and making sure one aunt, one family member, you know, I don't fault him at all. P1Evan is saying that he faults Chuck E. Cheese. What? Yeah, he says, P1Evan, are you there? Yeah, hey, what's up? You fault Chuck E. Cheese. Yeah, I do. I used to work there, actually. Oh, yeah. And why do you fault Chuck E. Cheese? Because he's a mouse? That's not enough. He wasn't watching her. I was the guy in the suit, and I was also the guy who was to let everyone in and out of the store. But we had a procedure there. You had to stamp the kid and the parents who walked into the store, and we couldn't let anyone leave unless that entire group was together, and we matched the numbers that we... stand on your hand. Oh, wow. Really? So they were numbers, so you knew how many people were in each group? Yeah, and then we usually have that one person doing that all day, so everyone remembers everyone anyway. So it's obviously someone who wasn't watching the front and just let those parents slip out and obviously knew that kid was walking around with anyone in there. Wow, that is very interesting. I wonder if anybody's asking questions about that. And that's an interesting thing for Chuck E. Cheese to do because, in a way,
Like, I'm glad they're being proactive and they're trying. But at the same time, they're almost making themselves liable for keeping track of groups. You know, they're just a restaurant. Well, I think they don't want people. Yeah, it's a safety issue. And I think it's like Red Robin going to do like that. I've never heard of any. No, but Chuck E. Cheese is designed for kids. And so if you're doing something with kids in mind. I think that's cool. Oh, I think it's way cool. I'm just shocked that they do it at all. Why do you hate them? Yeah, Sky hates the mouse, man. I never said that. Hates the band, hates the mouse, the whole thing, man. He hates it. P1 Big Mike's on the line. What's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Nothing. Hey, dude, if you're a parent, that's your job to keep an eye on your own kid. I have a 12-year-old. I know where he's going, who he's going with, what time he's going to be there, when he's supposed to be home. That's what I'm talking about. So the kids were with his sisters. But Big Mike. He did. His kid was supposed to be with his aunt. Then you talk to your sister and make sure that's what's happening. If you're working overnight to support kids and you can't even afford a phone. Then you can't afford to have a kid. That's what I'm talking about. But then what do you do? Give it back? Give the kid back? I return it. Here's my gift receipt. You're going to have a kid. You'll be responsible for it. That's it. So you're saying get another job and you better get a phone and you better, you better, you better, you better, you better.
You got a job. You better get another one. You better, you better, you better. Lefty kitty, chuck your cheese, and now you're screwed. You better, you better, you better. Ain't got no phone. I said you better. You better, you better, you better. Get it. What just happened? Thank you, sir. Thank you very much. Thank you. I guess that puts an end to that. Now we got it all figured out. Explains the whole thing. Well, this went well. Yeah. And you want to know why John Mayer writes those really, really sad songs. Cut six. Not so long ago, I kind of really made peace with the fact that I have a deep-seated emotional void that can only be filled with recognition and attention. John, you're kidding, right? I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. That's why we all do this. Did you guys hear about the guys who tried to cash their dead friend's check like Weekend at Bernie's? No, I missed that one. Did you guys hear about that? No. Yeah, you know, they took him dead to the bank. And sure. And sure. And sure? Well, I'll give you the... I'm going to tell you all about... I'm being serious, by the way. It's a real story. I'll tell you all about it when we get back. Natural Food.

Any of this stuff going on with your car, the check engine light on, take it to Amco. Eh, Mikey, but why? Why Amco? Why not John's Garage? I'll tell you why not John's Garage. Because at Amco, they have a database that they're connected to all these other Amco. This is what I found out by going to visit them. They're connected to all of these other Amcos.
via computer and so what happens is let's say ashley takes her car into amco she goes something's wrong here uh and i've never experienced this before but something by my glove compartment behind the engine is going and i don't know what it is so the guy takes it he listens to it and he goes he you know he turns it on and he hears and he's like i don't know what that is either So he goes onto his database at Amco and he types in, I don't know what this is, but this girl brought in a car and it's going la-la-la-la-la-la-la. Some guy in Albuquerque at an Amco reads it and he goes, I know exactly what that is. Happened to me. Had a customer in here. They exchange it. That's what Amco does. Turns out it's a little leprechaun with a Boston tattoo in the glove box. Going la-la-la-la-la. Sickest thing ever, dude. You got to get one. Exactly. So that's why I'm saying Amco. Crazy. Amco is double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Last week, millions watched 14 celebrities walk into a boardroom, and one of them heard this. You're fired. Tonight on NBC, an all-new Celebrity Apprentice. It is not until you get to know me that you realize I'm completely self-absorbed. Eddie. I like my sandwich, where I like my sandwich? Okay, Skye. Thank you, don't doubt the news, girl. Sean. I'm actually pissed off. I'm a rock.
I'm the token Boston guy on the shelf. That's right. Every show should happen. And Ashley. You make a compelling argument. I'm a compelling person. On Rock 105.3. We're just going straight to this. Just going straight to this. Such garbage. Welcome back. It's 9.17 and we... So we're just in commercial right now. And Skye says to me that she is on John Kerry's email list. John Kerry ran for president in 04. for the Dems. He ran against George Bush, and he lost. And she gets emails from him still. I go, so what, you were on his mailing list from 04? She says, yeah. I said, what's up? She says, he just made his endorsement. He just gave his endorsement to Barack Obama. Messed up. And I go, I said, that's almost cruel.
It's almost cruel. Now, for those of you that don't know, the first guy, he used a quote from Martin Luther King. And what was the quote? The time is always right to do what is right. Okay. Wow. There is so much that you can read into just that. Well said. In 2004, John Kerry, as his running mate, he chose John Edwards, who's currently running for president. And he says, I'm giving my support to Barack Obama. So let me get this straight. Oh, man. Go ahead. The guy who you chose to be a heartbeat away from being president, you don't support now. No. Not only that. How about this? How about this? Well, just to be clear, I got to know him. And now I know him. And so after getting to know him,
Personally, I give my support to Barack Obama. And the reason that I do, and the reason that I do to quote Martin Luther King is because the time has come to do what's right. Not what you would do just like as a friend or as a blah, blah, blah. See, if I gave my support to John Edwards, that wouldn't be right. Really? That wouldn't be right because I don't believe in him. Even though I was going to throw him in your face. As the vice president, I didn't know him well enough. So that basically goes to show all you John Kerry supporters out there what kind of decisions that guy would have made. Well, honestly, what it means the most to me is kind of like who John Kerry is. Like I go, listen, there's a big part of me that goes, dude, you chose that guy. It's his turn now. Suck it up and give him your endorsement for crying. You chose him as your vice president. Suck it up. But what he's saying, I can't do that because he's not right. I mean, holy cow. He was right in 04 to be your vice president? Well, before I knew him. And not now. Is that what he really is saying? Before I knew him? That's his thing?
He's not saying anything about John Edwards. All he's actually saying... No, you can interpret what he's saying, but what he himself is saying is positive stuff about Barack Obama. He's flip-flopping. Oh, definitely. Which is what the big thing was that he did in 04. Wait, wait, wait. You guys, but wait a second, Sky. How is he not saying anything about John Edwards? Indirectly, he is. Yes, indirectly, he is, but... There's not a quote of him saying, I got to know him and I don't like him. Oh, I think there's a quote. I think Martin Luther King's quote is the quote. The time is for change and to do what's right. Well, wait a minute. Wait a minute, Mr. Edwards. I mean, wait a minute, Mr. Kerry. It's time to do what's right. But John Edwards was your running mate. Wait a minute, Mr. Kerry. Isn't John Edwards right? So in 04, you were doing what's wrong? Well, the only thing... I can't believe that he thought he was doing something wrong. The only thing I can take from it is, well, then I got to know him. Yeah, I can see how that would make sense because wouldn't that lose Kerry's credibility if he's now not for the person who's going to be with him?
So, why would he do that? Dude. Now, Skye had a point about the Martin Luther King thing. The reason she brought it up in the first place is because she thought that it was odd that he was using this King quote. And what was it? What is it? Well... You're like, so you're choosing Barack and you're using a Martin Luther King. Like, how convenient. Yeah, like if you, you know, decide to go with Hillary, you wouldn't use Martin Luther King. You'd probably use some famous way to quote Amelia Earhart on her mission to, you know, okay. Exactly. I get what you're saying. Now, now, I said to her, I go, well, I said, I think that this is probably going to be big news within hours. Well, I was wrong. It took minutes. It took minutes. What is so monstrous about it, besides the obvious, is that now, and I'm not an Edwards supporter. I am. Sky is. I'm not an Edwards supporter, but I think it sucks that as this guy is trying to get the word out in Michigan and get the word out in South Carolina, every question now is going to be, how do you respond to your former running mate saying that he supports Barack Obama?
How do you even answer that? Oh, that throws a wrench in the gear. It kills this campaign because the guy who was your main guy isn't even supporting you. You guys, you want to know something so weird? Makes me mad. I was turning on to Lucadia from The Five and this thought came into my head. And the thought was John Kerry and John Edwards. And I thought to myself, I wonder what the process is when it's your turn. You know, like in other words, if Edwards had wanted to run an 04 and Kerry wanted to run an 04, Edwards kind of sees that Kerry's building all this momentum and support. And he goes and he says to his wife, Elizabeth, we're not going to do it this year. It's not our year. It's he's not even been asked to be vice president yet. But he's saying it looks like Kerry's probably going to be pretty strong. So I don't know that right now is the right time. Maybe he's considering it. Right. OK. Maybe he is. Maybe he isn't. But Kerry runs. Kerry selects him to be his vice president, right? And so my thought is, is that when it's your turn, like it is now, it's 08, it's now Edwards' turn. Because you don't run and then run again. If you lose, you don't do it again. The next election. You usually wait another election. Like John McCain ran in 2000. He didn't run in 04 because you look like a dummy, kind of. You have to wait. So here's Edwards. Now it's his turn.
And I was actually thinking to myself, I was right there on the road and I thought to myself, I wonder what the process is when you do that. Like, do you call the guy and go, hey, I wanted to let you know I'm running for president. I was kind of thinking to myself, because one thing I'm kind of bad at, I don't really get certain kinds of social etiquette. I'm not really well up on... Social etiquette. If it were up to me, I wouldn't make any phone calls to anybody. I wouldn't say, I don't know how to do, like, Eddie's pretty good at it. Eddie's pretty good at, like, yeah, dude, you should probably say to them, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah. Eddie's good at, like, if somebody passes away in somebody's family. Like, how you do stuff, you know? And I don't get that stuff very well. So I actually had the thought. Wonder if Edwards called Carrie and goes, hey, man, just want to let you know I'm making a run this year. Just out of, I don't know what. Just out of something. Courtesy. Courtesy, respect, or something like that. And the thought occurred to me, I wonder if you don't do that, is that bad, blah, blah, blah. And so it's making me wonder now, because I'm not suggesting that that was why, because there was no phone call. I'm not. I'm just saying I had this thought of like, I wonder if that creates anything. Something happened. All I'm telling you is, this is not...
This is not because nothing happened. This is no boating accident. Seriously. Because make no mistake about it, this is messed up. That's major. When Eddie said, it's probably screwed. It could be over for him. It really could. That could kill the campaign. One dude says, I give it to Barack. You are 100% right. Hey, dude, you know what else I just thought of? Every question is going to be that. You know what else I just thought of? Barack Obama now is so sitting pretty. So strong. That dude now, he takes him on the road. Right. All the people who supported John Kerry, throw your support towards me. Not me, dude. And by the way, I know we're here in South Carolina. I'm Barack Obama. I know we're here in South Carolina. We're campaigning. John, can you do me a favor? Tell everybody what's wrong with that. Tell everybody what's wrong with Edwards. Hey, you guys, listen to this. He ran with him. Go ahead, John. Tell everybody what a mess up he is. Yeah, and even if John Kerry doesn't ever comment on John Edwards, he has planted the seed of doubt in everybody's mind that sums up with John Edwards that we don't know about. You love Edwards. Why would he do that? Oh, I want to know. Are you pissed? Are you pissed? Did you do something? What happened? I'm pissed.
That's the weirdest. Makes you think you got it right, huh? That's right. Oh, President Bush. President Bush. That's right, baby. Hey, we got it right, right? You got it right. Exactly. I don't know about that. You did. It's President Bush. You got it right. President Bush, what do you think about the announcement just moments ago? It'd be like me not supporting Darth Cheney. You know what I mean? It just wouldn't happen. His name is Dick Cheney. That's my boy. His name is Dick Cheney. You got to support your boy. But his name is Dick Cheney. Bros before hoes. I don't know that that really applies in this situation. You always got to have your boys back. I don't know that that really... Wingman. Pick the fat, ugly chick. Wait a second, President Bush. By that, I mean Mexico. Oh, no. Thank you, President Bush. You got it. Flip-flopper. All right, that's enough. Told you so. I wonder if he walked up to the microphone to make the announcement with flip-flops. On his feet when he did it. If you want to, Art, go ahead, Art. Hello? Art, go ahead. Morning, Mikey. Good morning, dude. How are you, man? Good. Well, listen, this is my take on it, okay? Four years ago, when Kerry was running for office, in his mind, Edwards was probably the best candidate available at the time. Now, you seem to be working on the assumption that all these senators have a, you know, like a social...
friendship going with each other when they really probably only know each other from the floor. After getting to know Edwards, he said personal, on a personal level, he's changed his opinion of the man. Now, have you ever met somebody, thought they were something, and then found out later on that you were wrong or that they were a character issue that you didn't agree with? If I did, and I would say it. If I did, I would say what my issue, if I'm going to do something as big a deal as saying I'm supporting your rival, If I'm going to do that, I'm going to tell everybody why. And I'm going to do it in more of a way than just saying why I like your rival. I'm going to let everybody... Because everybody's going to wonder, why aren't you supporting your bro? Everybody's going to wonder. And I know everybody's going to wonder. And I'm okay with that. I'm okay letting everybody wonder. But then it becomes a personal character attack.
That's an individual choice. It already is. Yeah, what do you think it is? Dude, this thing is five minutes old. It already is. But he's just saying, look, I got to know him personally, and I don't support him for president. He's not saying that. He's not saying that. And let me tell you something. If he did, even the people that support him the most would be like, uh-oh. Maybe something's up here. Like, really? You don't support him? Red flag. What did you find out about him? It infuriates me. Oh, Skye. It's a boy, Skye. Oh, my gosh, you guys. I just remembered this. Strap yourselves in. Oh, no. I can't handle it. Skye, you've got to put on double. Let me put on my seatbelt. I'm very fragile right now. Eddie, you're going to love it. Oh, no. I'm talking to Sean yesterday. Uh-huh. And he says, I just have to tell you that if John McCain gets the nomination for the Republicans, I'm going to have to vote for him. Oh, really? Welcome to the dark side, Sean. Well, what he did was, this is how it happened. I was on the phone with him. I was in my car. Okay. And he goes, and this is what he said. He goes.
If John McCain gets the nomination, and I go, holy cow! And to his credit, he goes, I'm just saying. Wow. Sean, you're so full of it. Why is it even full of it? Because of the many conversations we've had about the war in Iraq and about how you believe we shouldn't be there and everything that's happened. So you're going to vote for a guy? Who wants us to stay there? But Sean said a couple of days ago his biggest issue is immigration and foreign policy and those kind of things. Yeah, foreign policy is the war in Iraq. Sean thinks we shouldn't be there. But it's also securing the borders and other things like that. And if he agrees with McCain's policies on that, then why is that bad? Yeah, I mean, McCain wants the war in Iraq to go away as well. He just believes that we've got to finish what we started there. And then get out. And I do agree with that. Well, see, there's a way to finish what you started. The way that you finish what you started is you give them more dudes. They don't have enough dudes and they want more dudes. Well, it's funny because that's the opposite of what Sean was telling me a couple months ago. What did he tell you? Well, we had this long conversation on the drive over to Eddie's wedding.
We were all in the car together and we had this long conversation about what a mess we believe Iraq is and how staying there is going to do nothing but make the region more unstable and cause more deaths and how we just need to cut our losses and come home. Okay, I agree. I agree with and okay, now I'll let Sean speak. So I agree with everything you said up until we should come home. I don't know. That's what Sean was saying a couple months ago. Well, in fairness to him, what he said to me. was that it's not one issue. It's not like every issue. It's just that more issues with McCain fall into line with him than any of the... To me, it sounds like the only issue is immigration. Hang on a second. And the other thing was is that he felt that the Democrats and the Democratic candidates are just a mess. He didn't like any of them. I don't see a strong leader among any of them, and I certainly don't see anyone who...
is going to make the tough decisions in order to put America back on the map. I mean, I think that a lot of people don't realize that America is really... We are on the precipice of serious economic issues, like either depression or, at the very least, a recession. Either one of those is going to happen. How are we going to make sure that we limit that damage? Democrats are not going to do that for us. I think Eddie should be the president. Yeah. Mike, how great would he be? Eddie, I back you. Really? Yeah, I back you as president. I think it's the best choice, and I think you're on to something. Thanks, guys. Who would be better than Eddie? Sky, what do you think? You guys really get it? No, opposite. Take a quick time out. Got to let you know that James Gandolfini is engaged, and I'll tell you to who when we come back.

The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. John Edwards did run for president in 2004. Didn't do well, so he was chosen by Kerry to be his running mate. Happens.
That is something that happens. Now, we got an interesting email to this. I'll tell you in just a second. It's 944. Dr. Phil's people says that he's standing by his statements regarding Britney, even if her family is upset. Antonio Gates was held out of practice yesterday. Doesn't look likely that he's going to play on Sunday. So here is what P1 Chris just wrote. Why is flip-flopping a bad thing? I'd think that always sticking by your guns is the greater evil. In the face of new evidence, remember, Barack wasn't on the scene four years ago. Sometimes your opinions slash decisions must change. It's brain-dead machismo to ignore new information to appear to be decisive and confident. Perhaps four years ago, Edwards was the go-to guy. And compared to the other options, he certainly was. But today, right now, there are better choices.
It sucks for Edwards, but I think you have to go with what you believe. Maybe after three, four years, the political climate has changed enough that Edwards' ideals are no longer in the best interest of the country. Well, I guess what I would say to that, P1 Chris, is that last time I checked, nobody's putting a gun to John Kerry's head making him give an endorsement. He could have just stayed quiet and he wouldn't have hurt. Edwards as bad as he just did. Yeah, like I wasn't sitting here going, gosh, I wonder who John Kerry's going to endorse. Exactly. It wasn't even on my radar. It's not necessary. That's why I said to do it, and if he's asked, you know, who do you endorse for this president, which I don't even think anybody was going to ask him. I mean, it's a stupid question. Who am I going to endorse, my vice president? You would think. Nobody would ask that stupid question, but if they did, if he hated John Edwards so much. Or whatever. You smile and you go, well, you know, always looking at the choices. Undecided. Ha ha ha. And then it's laughed off and it's no big deal. Shut up! But to do this press release and this whole... It's blowing up on CNN right now. Yeah. To say, yeah, my vice president, not so much. I know he's running for president and everything. And I know this is going to hurt him. I know this is going to hurt him. In fact, it may derail his entire campaign. But...
I have to do one of the great words of Martin Luther King. Once you go black, Mike. That's right. You never go back. You never go Barack. That's his slogan. He says, once you go black, you never go Barack. Or something like that. You're paraphrasing. Yeah, I'm paraphrasing. It's either that or something about change. I can't remember. It's one of those things, though. Crazy. Let's see. The state of California gave a citation to Cedar Sinai for almost killing Dennis Quaid's kids with that overdose of whatever it was. Yeah, the Department of Public Health in California issued a 20-page report where they cited the hospital for giving an improper dosage of the anti-blood clotting drug to Dennis Quaid's newborn. He says, you know, the report says that they need to establish policies and procedures for safe medication use. Yeah, I agree. You would think that would be a no-brainer for a hospital.
Did you guys hear about the Katrina victims that are suing the government for three quadrillion dollars? Yeah, I'm sorry. He must have mispronounced that. No, he's making up a number. Oh, is he? No, it's the truth. Three quadrillion is a real number. If they win, what kind of denominations do you think they're going to get? Singles. Nice. They want it all in singles. Nice. Yeah, quadrillion is what comes after trillion. And they want three. Quadrillion dollars? Is that more or less than a bazillion? It's just under a bazil. Right. It's way under a bazil. Yeah, why not ask for a kajillion? Yeah. Why stop at quadrillion? Yeah, to put in perspective how much a quadrillion is, they said if you took a stack of one quadrillion pennies and stacked it out in the parking lot, it would reach Saturn. Ask for it in pennies. That's right. That would be great. You could live in it. That's a lot. Make a house. You hear the weird noises again. That's my microphone. Is your microphone hungry? I think so. Yeah. Give it some popcorn. I almost one time sued for 14 Cazurian. You did, Michael Jackson? Who were you suing? McDonald's. Why? They put peppercorn in my pancakes.
I don't believe that. They put a peppercorn in your face. They put a peppercorn in my pancakes. Since when does McDonald's even have peppercorns? It was the year that they opened that new one on Saturn itself. And I was there visiting. You're really out of your mind right now, Michael. I was there with McCokey Culkin. No. You shouldn't say that, first of all. We were visiting. No. And he ordered a Royale with cheese. Let's see this. And I ordered a Happy Meal. And my pancakes in my Happy Meal had a peppercorn. Well, I don't know what kind of McDonald's this is, but you can't get pancakes and a Happy Meal, so your lawsuit is thrown out, buddy. I wish you could. You just got to get the McRib, Michael. I hope that they settle with these Katrina victims for $3 billion. Boy, that'll be a real... For the U.S. government, that's a victory. They got off easy if they only give them $3 billion. Stupid. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. Idiot! So I told you I wanted to tell you about these guys that tried to cash their dead friend's check. So how did this work, Skye? Okay, so I guess this dude dies, and he has some friends, and it's so funny. And so this check is worth something like $350, and so they want to cash the check.
So they're in New York, in New York City. And so they decide to go down to the check cashing place. And what they're going to do is they're going to put their dead friend in a chair that has wheels on it. How did he die? They're now saying it was natural causes. Like, are these older guys? Like, old men? Well, let's see. The dude, two guys who tried to cash the check were 66 years old, and the guy who died was 65 years old. Oh, wow. Why would they need him? Because his name's on the check. And it's funnier. I know. I know, but he can't do anything. He can't do anything about it. So what they do is they put the body in a chair with wheels and they wheel him from his West 52nd Street apartment several blocks down the road to the pay-o-matic check cashing facility. How much would you give to see it?
Oh, the visual. They leave the dead friend in the chair outside the window of the store. How long was he dead for? Um, it doesn't say. Get out! I heard they tied strings to their hands and they were pulling them so we would wave. Like a marionette. Yeah, so they went in to cash the check. The $355 social security check. They go in to cash that. And the person at the check cashing place knew the deceased. Like, because he, I guess, went there to cash his checks all the time. And... He goes, oh, well, where's so-and-so? And they go, oh, he's right outside. See him out the window? Yeah, see him? He's waving. He's right there. Pulling the strings. Someone's on the roof pulling the strings up. His dead arm is waving because somebody's pulling the rope. Yeah. And so the person at the cash-checking facility was like... He had sunglasses on him and like a baseball cap. Flying shirt. Like a pipe in his mouth. Yeah. Was like... The Hawaiian shirt was a mistake. Like, it's cold out. Yeah. You idiots.
So the person working at the check cashing place goes, well, he needs to come in here to cash the check. Right. They're like, he's tired. Right. Sleepy. So I don't know what their plan was, but so they go outside to, I guess, get him. Yeah. And by this time, a crowd has gathered around him. That's so weird. Because it's weird that some dude is sitting lifeless in a chair with wheels on it in the middle of New York, New Manhattan. But you've never seen that before? Yeah, what was the problem? And I guess one of the people in the crowd was a New York police detective and noticed that the person was deceased. Why, because seagulls were pecking at his head? And took it from there. James Gandolfini is engaged. Aw. Yeah, who's he engaged to? Edie Falco. Yeah. Kamala. Yay. His longtime girlfriend, Deborah Lynn. Deborah Lynn. He popped the question over the holidays in the Bahamas. Yeah. She's on his side. No one knows. She's a girlfriend. Thursday nights. Oh, goodness. She's a Thursday night. What else? I think we're pretty good. I think we did everything. Am I missing anything big? No. Our CD's not going to be for sale very much longer. Eight days, as a matter of fact. Oh, wow. You got until a week from tomorrow to buy our CD at Cricket. Select Cricket stores.
So if I were you, man, I'd get down there. Did Pedro get one? I think so. Did anybody send him one? He saw him out of the back of his trunk. Oh, that's brutal. Oh, great. You guys get a lot of calls every morning that people pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean stuff. Every one of you are great. Thank you. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Mikey Show. I know, but I didn't see anybody else. And she just wrote me and said, okay, we're on. And I'm like, I didn't see anybody respond. I guess we're on. Tuesday it is. Alright, sounds good. I'll be there. After the show. He does. He needs to be there.
Yeah. You're going, too. I'm included. Of course he is. He's got something else going on. Right meeting Tuesday after show. Just put that. That's it. Yeah. KIOZ San Diego. That's what we call our shows. Kia! Adelson Business. Hi. Hey, Ashley, how's your new dog? She's awesome. Puppy, right? Yes. Doesn't know how to go to the bathroom on its own? I thought she was one. She's one years old, but she's still a puppy. Like, that's still... Is she potty trained? Oh, no. What's going on? I had to run to go. What's she doing? She's going to use the restroom. Wow. Are you okay? Yeah, just... How far away was it? No, you guys, she had to go to the one in Kearney Mesa. Go to the one all the way down the... Kearney Mesa. She had to go downtown. Kearney Mesa. Clear Channel down to San Antonio. So, anyways...
I don't necessarily think that she's not potty trained. I just think that she's not used to my place. So I need to just kind of get her in a routine. But so far, she has had no accidents. She almost had one last night, and I caught her and scooped her up and ran her outside. Did you spank her on the butt and rub her nose in it? No. What is she in it when you're not there? Huh? Where is she when you're not there? She's chilling in my house. Just running around? You do crater? No. Oh, okay. Don't you think when you get home, she's going to have made an accident? Well, I've got two of my neighbors checking up on her all morning, and they both have already, like, let me know via text that she's doing really good. She's, like, just sleeping and stuff. So if she does anything, they've got to clean it up. Hmm. Well, I have my puppy-proof everything. I like that arrangement. And then what I'm going to do, my dad's going to come into town in a couple weeks, and we're going to get, like... And he's going to walk her. Yeah. My dad's coming to town, and he's going to build a little doggy door in my patio. Clean up the poo. Yeah, my dad's coming in to clean up after her. No, no, no. No. He's coming in and he'll put the doggy door. So she'll have a little doggy door to my party. The parents are responsible. See, my idea of the parents is you just get your neighbors to text you when something goes wrong. Yeah. No, it's just because it's her first morning. No. Yeah, no. No. Oh, really? No, I love you. I support your dog. Thank you. Then I support you. Catherine McPhee got dropped by her record company. What? Wow, that was quick.
No way. Ouch. Not bad album sales. Terrible. Shut up. Terrible. Yeah. I loved her hit single. Was she had a hit single? Over It. That was the jam. Remember, Eddie? Yeah, I totally remember. They were over it? Yeah. Over It. Well, I remember she sang it on the Today Show and we heard it, but that was the only place I ever heard it. Well, they played it a lot, I know, on the pop. music stations, but this is a really, really awesome song. I think she probably sounds too much like a lot of other people. Isn't everybody? Nuh-uh. No. Kelly Clarkson? Who does she sound like? Kelly Clarkson sounds like Kelly Clarkson. Honestly, Christina Aguilera, you hear her sing, you go, oh, that's Christina. Like, this one, I think I could have played this and been like, who is this, guys? Unless you were real familiar with the song, you would be like, I don't know. And you might go, it sounds real good. Who is that? But that's not, I don't think that's how it works. You gotta be real, you gotta be different. Ain't no Daughtry, I'll tell you that. It's true. Ashley, if you know what this is, don't say. Who's this? Lindsay Lohan.
It's Lindsay Lohan. Have you heard it, Eddie? No. I recognize her voice. She should be a big star. I think she's going to get me a word for this picture. Sounds like everything else, right? See what I'm saying? All are, but they all seem to make it. There was a Carmel Valley La Salsa robbed a gunpoint yesterday. I used to go to it all the time. Yeah, and the dude got away, so police are asking anybody who knows if this guy fits the description. Will you steal carne asada? No money. That would be ridiculous. Wait, what? It was a chicken carne asada. Oh. Yeah, it happened yesterday about a quarter to six. Dude walked up to a female employee, flashed a gun, demanded cash. He's described as a white male, five feet six, heavy. Oh, no. Don't change me. No.
No, no, they go on to say he has a heavy build with a beer belly. Mike. Oh. Mike. He was seen leaving in a silver Toyota sedan with a San Diego Chargers flag on the rear passenger window. Oh, you are an idiot. Right? That's pretty stupid. A flag leaving a robbery. Right? A flag. Why don't you just leave your ID? Yeah. Redoing her will and leaving Stedman out of it. Yeah, reports are that she just redid her will. What are these reports? Reports.com. Left Stedman out of it and then also added that she's leaving money to various charities and, quote, some yet-to-be-adopted children. Oh, me. Rob, you're not a child. You're an adult. Well, he's the same size as that guy. That is true. That is true. Oh, you're so teeny.
Put Rob in a little orphan Annie outfit. Wouldn't that be cute? Think she'd adopt me? It'd be just the cutest thing ever. It'd be oversized, but it'd be cute. Well, he could maybe grow into it. What's the deal with this pregnant Marine woman that's missing in North Carolina? What's the deal with this? This is crazy. Okay, so at the time of her disappearance, which is almost a month ago now, the last time she was seen was December 14th. Eight months pregnant at that time. And we're just hearing about this? Yeah. I've never heard of this. I hadn't either until late yesterday. I believe, according to new reports, she was a victim in some sort of incident that happened on the Marine Base there in North Carolina and was getting ready to testify in that case. She went missing. Her car was found abandoned at a bus station. Her cell phone was found at the front gate of the Marine Base and
And so she's disappeared. She's due to give birth any day now. And they're investigating. And the sheriff says that there is evidence that maybe other members of the military are involved in her disappearance. Very suspicious. Rob said before the show started today that he has ideas for his wedding. And he started to say something. I go, ah! Save it for the air. Oh, I'm sure they're good. I bet they're great. Go ahead, Rob. Well? Love him already. Yep, I'm in. It's about the reception. I was thinking yesterday. I was listening to little Frank Sinatra while I was at the gym. Don't we all? Normal. Pumps me up. Dean Martin. You know, the good stuff. Okay. The dance mix? No. Just the originals, dude. Really? Is that on when you're on the elliptical? Get you pumped up? Yeah, listen to that. Gets some blood moving, doesn't it? Oh, yeah. Look at Eddie. Eddie's on the elliptical with a big smile on his face. And I was wondering, are we going to have a DJ or can we do a live band? What did you decide? That's always the debate. Well, I haven't brought it up to her because I got nervous. Why? Nervous? Because also I was wondering if we should do karaoke.
At the wedding reception? Wouldn't that be a blast? Yes. Remember, Eddie, I asked you if you were going to have it at your reception. I think it's a good idea. I think it would be fun. What is a reception, Sky? A reception is a time where you all get together. You party after the ceremony. I mean, that's just another fun way to party. Why does she look disgusting? See, this is why I didn't bring it up to my fiance. This guy is out. The reason is because it isn't traditional. I think everybody at first goes, that's not traditional. But when you think about it, you go, well, it is fun. That's not me. I'm the opposite of traditional when it comes to weddings. But to me, in a group... In a group of people, there's a handful of decent singers. And that would be neat and fun. But then you're just going to get a string of drunk, annoying people who cannot sing, who are annoying the crap out of everybody. And it would make me want to leave. Mind changed. It would make you want to leave as a guest? Yeah. Like if I didn't love Rob, if I was just at some random acquaintance. Everybody's going to be drinking and partying. And you know everybody. So it's like kind of funny.
And they're all people that you know. Oh, no. Wait a minute. What? Eddie's got that look like. This is a great idea. Right. And then you're letting the guests choose what songs are being sung and people could maybe be offended. Hang on. I think that what you do is, I think that you do both. Personally, I think that you get... Hells, yeah. You get a DJ or a band, you do that. But then, you know, once everybody... Get a band and let me sing with it. So how would it roll out, Mike, in your mind? You start the reception. Okay. You let everybody do their speeches and all that stuff. Okay. You eat dinner. Okay. You play some music for about an hour. And now Ashley. And then you say... And then you get on the mic and you go, Hey, everybody. We thought we'd do a little karaoke. So, what do you do? You play music for an hour, but 45 minutes in, you make the announcement on the microphone that you're going to be starting karaoke in 15 minutes, so if anybody wants to, come get your name in. And then I can just cancel out the names, and I'm like, Ashley, no way is she getting out there. You can't cancel names. You're going to be so busy that you're not going to... I said that out loud? Yeah. It's a word I say. I would say.
a special dedication song to you and your beautiful wife, you ass. Hey, you don't have to be a jerk about it. Oh boy, here we go. Whatever. What would be the song Ashley would sing? Something beautiful, I'm sure. It would be a special dedication to you. Like what do you think you would do? I don't know. Someone by Fergie? It would have to be... Gwen Stefani, maybe. It would have to be someone by either Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Sarah McLaughlin. These are my tones. McLaughlin? I used to love her. Yeah, wouldn't. I'm a big fan of, obviously, Rascal Flatts. Bless the Broken Road. It's karaoke, Mike. Huh? It's karaoke. Yeah, it's karaoke. You can do whatever you want. You know, you change the words. Remember when I did the toast for Eddie and I sing and I made up my own words to Bless the Broken Road at Rascal Flatts? Loved it, Bob. Yeah. I thought it was great. I just, I don't think karaoke's a good idea. You got any other ideas? Anymore. You've thought of it. Anymore. Got any other ideas? Um, no. Okay. Each day I come up with a couple. Okay. And then depending on what they are. Well, maybe we can get you thinking. Yeah, there you go. That's obviously your workout music. Right. Eddie imitating Rob on the ellipticals, my new favorite thing. Brilliant.
Holy cow. That is good. So they asked a whole bunch of Americans, why do they get divorced? The top reason given. What do you guys think the top reason is? Why do people get divorced? Money. Weight gain. What? Infidelity. That is not it. Sweat. That is not it. Shortness. The number one thing people divorce over. 36% of people agreed on. Yes, this is why. 36%. That's what they said. The amazing race. Kids. What? Karaoke. It is? Remote control. Assistant producers. Well, how would that... Why would you divorce about the assistant producer? Well, you would eventually realize that you have feelings for... Your assistant producer? Oh, that's sweet.
Hi, Ashley. That was sweet. Nice save, Eddie. There you go. You're still on the good side. So, the number one reason that people cite that they get a divorce is abuse. Either verbal or physical abuse. Wow. That falls into fighting, probably. A very distant second was... What do you guys think? Money. Infidelity. It was money. Where's weight gain? Close third? My parents got divorced. About money? Wait, what? Ash? Well, that's what my dad's whole reason was why he cheated on her. Because she didn't have enough money? No, it was because that was like all the time they fought about money. All the time. So that made him horny? No, but it made him... Heck yeah. Eddie kind of has a good point. Like, how did you... Did you go, Dad, I don't get it. You cheated. Like, he told me he was going to divorce my mom six months before he did. And the reason he gave you was money. Well, that was the reason why they could not come to a resolution in terms of money. And they could not. They fought all the time. And that's when my dad was like, you know, I can't. So at that point, did you know he had cheated? I don't even think he had at that point. Oh, wow. The next reason that people get a divorce, someone new entered their life. Bingo. 18% of people said that one. You know what the next one is? Sex.
16% of people say they divorce over sex. The next one, disagreements about how to raise the kids. I'm telling you, man, talk about it before you get married. Definitely. All of this stuff that you hear me mentioning, talk about it before you get married. Talk about having kids. Talk about... Yes, Rob, seriously. Rob, let me ask you some questions. Okay, go ahead. Have you discussed with your fiancé... how you want to uh deal with discipline yeah we've definitely touched upon that you've talked about spanking no spanking that kind of thing right a lot he says do you agree on with each other or do you kind of have different uh no we fight about it a little uh we agree to some extent
Because I'm of that old school. Like, you got to give the kid a spanking. Like, that's how I was raised. And what does she say? No. Absolutely no spanking. Uh-uh. Okay. And so, is that where you guys have left it? Or have you come up with... No, we haven't come up with anything. Okay. That is crazy. That's a crazy thing. You need to. That's crazy! Before you get married... I'll work on that today. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Work on it today. Iron it out. Okay. Figure out if you can make a concession or if she can't. Because in my marriage, it was the same deal. And before we were ever married... I decided to go with my wife's way, which she says punt them just like a football right off the porch. No, Rebecca says never touch the kids. You know, timeouts. Unless they're asking for it. But you got to agree on that. Have you guys discussed money, Rob? Yeah. I don't have any, Mike. I tell her every day. Looks like you're picking this one up, babe. Again. Let's see. 13% of people cited boredom. They just got bored. Hey, listen. You should not be citing boredom as a reason for getting divorced. This is pathetic. You want to know why? You're going to get bored. I'm telling you right now. Before you get married, there's going to be a time where you get bored. But what you do is you go, all right, well, we should figure out something else then to do.
So we're not bored. Spice it up. Like if we're bored because we're sitting here every night staring at each other, how about tomorrow night? Don't do it. We go do something different. Yeah. How about tomorrow night? We go for a walk. And then halfway through the walk, trip me or something. Make it interesting. How about I start off five minutes before you, then you start off, you throw rocks at me from behind. We'll do something different. Yeah. Whatever works. Then I'll let you pass me. I'll give you a wedgie. We'll go from there. Yeah. It'll be nice. It'll be different. Very different. I'll tackle you. Won't be boring. Whether to have children. Rob, do you guys both agree you want kids? Yep. I want like 13. How many does she want? She only wants two. Yeah, you better figure that one out. 13 and two are different. I just want a bunch. That would be sweet. Make them do stuff. I'm telling you, Rob, what you're talking about right now is future arguments. You're talking about future fights. I pretty much give in to two because I wouldn't be responsible enough to have that many. Perfect.
If it happens on accident, it wasn't my fault. Are you on birth control, or are you sticking with confidence? People also get a divorce over religion. Are you guys the same religion? Uh, what's Protestant? What do you mean, what is it? What do you mean, what is it? It's kind of like Christianity, right? Yes, I believe it is Christianity. Yeah, yeah, so yes. Well, I get confused. Mike, to be honest, I don't know what religion she is. I just met her. Hindu? Something like that. I don't know. So there it is. Hindu. Hindu. 5701053. Sounds like this is going to work out real good, eh? Yeah. Well, you got to talk. You just got to figure it out before you guys get married. You got to discuss all these things. What is that comment? Get them all out in the open. What do you mean? It wasn't sarcastic, right? No. Good. This went well. Yeah. Yeah. We got everything out there.
5701053. Give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. Great show today, Eddie. It really shines. Thanks, guys. I don't know. I mean, I know it comes naturally for you, but you really brought it today. I really wanted to, you know, put a smile on people's face. You're the best. Above and beyond. It was an honor. Sky, what do you think? Why is she throwing up? Yes, Eddie. You are lying. Oh, finally. Finally, you're in line. Took all morning. Mikey show. That tickled me. You deserve it. Hi, yeah. I was told to call back around this time. I just wanted to talk about an idea I had for Scott Eveland. Basically, they were mentioned before about ways to try to get his story out there. Yeah, now for people that are just tuning in and don't know what we're talking about, Scott is the kid that, well, he got into an accident.
Playing football. Is that right? Yes. And he went into a coma. He's out of the coma now, but he needs a great deal of physical therapy. And his insurance company is refusing to continue his level of care. What they want to do is put him in a nursing home or send him home, which would be basically them deciding his fate. He's not going to get any better if that happens. And I said earlier today, I think that that's awful. I think that that's awful. And the only way you're going to get the insurance company to pay it is through humiliating, uncovering it, shining a light on it, embarrassing them. What is your idea? What do you think people should do? Well, what I think they should do is create a video. And it doesn't have to be anything elaborate. In fact, it would probably be better if it was very straightforward. And just, you know, real basic, you know, a camera and a tripod. Post that on YouTube and then paste the link to that video in an email. and then mass email that out to everyone that they know, and then ask those people to email it out to everyone they know and so forth. We've all seen how certain emails have the ability to go worldwide, and I think this is something that could do that. I don't think any idea is a bad idea, and as long as anybody wants to take that up, I think it's great. I said it earlier, the Mikey Show would love to help get the word out in any way that we can.
Personally, my thought was you do some sort of a protest out in front of Blue Cross or Blue Shield or whatever it is. And you make a fuss and you tell the TV stations you're going to be there. And you bring him out there. You bring Scott out there. Because we have just seen recently that this created change. It was a little too late in this girl's case. But people started protesting. And finally the insurance company said, okay, we'll pay for her liver transplant. She died. It was too late. So get on it. You know, I mean, he's not in jeopardy in terms of dying, but he is in jeopardy in terms of like getting better physical therapy future. It's his future that we're talking about. So any way that the Mikey show can help, we would we would be happy to. I think it's a worthy cause. And Sky had a great idea. She said, right to. Presidential nominee John Edwards, even though today, after today, I'm sure Gary sunk that ship. Maybe write to Obama. But write to a politician and tell them about the story because if they bring it up, what the insurance company needs to be is shamed.
They need bad publicity. Exposed. Exposed. If they get the bad publicity, then they have to do something about it. They don't have to. Try and get in contact with the Spanos. Yeah. You know, with the Chargers. I mean, it's a football-related thing, and maybe they'd want to get behind you and help. Yep. No idea is a bad idea, man. You got an idea. Do something. Do it. Mikey Show. Yeah. Hey, Mikey. It's P1 Tony. How are you doing? Good, man. Hey, I wanted to call and let you know I just need to apologize to you and your show. Why? Because up until just last month, I always listened to Chris, Tony and Chris in the morning on my way to work. Yeah. And all my friends told me, oh, you got to listen to Mikey. He's the best. And I had to judge you guys because you're on Rock 105.3. Yeah. I'm a good old country boy. I don't like Rock 105.3 music. Right. So I had a pretty conceived notion about you guys. Uh-huh. And now I love the show. Dude, that's awesome. Yes. That is awesome. I'll tell you what, man. I mean, that is what being a P1 is all about. What your friends did is the very definition of being a P1. They turn new people onto the show that wouldn't normally listen. And that's really what P1s do. They do it through any means possible. YouTube, telling their friends at work. I mean, anything you can think of to get people listening to it.
That's why we're here. It needs a little taste, dude. A little bump of the Mikey Show. You're hooked. A little sweet. A little fresh Mikey Show. Thank you, sir. It's great. I get my wife to listen now and my father-in-law and we've got the whole family listening because they thought Rock 105.3 is... Well, and I understand. It's perfect, man. You guys are doing the right thing. Oh! I appreciate it. Thank you very much. No problem. Have a good day, guys. You got it. Mikey Show. Hey, this is P1 Crow Daddy. What's up, bro? Hey, is this Mikey? Yes. Hey, Mikey, I was just wondering how generous you are right now of giving away some free tickets. Free tickets to what? Free tickets. Xavier Rudd for House of Blues tomorrow. You know what? If I had tickets to Exchange or Mud... I would be giving away tickets, but I've never heard of Exchanger Mud. I don't think that's what he said. I don't know what Exchanger Mud is. It is what he said. But that would be better. Verbatim. Exchanger Mud. Tomorrow night. Okay. You rocking out there? Yeah, well, I'm just playing from their cassette. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what's going on, man? It's P1 John. I just wanted to call in about Boston Rob getting married. Yes, go ahead, please. I just wanted to say he needs to...
Like, it's a big commitment, and maybe look at some counseling. Me and my wife did it in the Marine Corps. That's a good idea. We have a long-distance relationship. I thought that worked out pretty well for us. It's a great idea. Very good idea. Thank you for the call. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Have you guys heard the Val Kilmer release of his new album yet? Val Kilmer has an album out? What? You can't make stuff up. Is he a solo artist or is he in a band? No, it's him by himself. Let me see if we have it. I don't see it in our system, but I'll try to find it. It's horrible. Val Kilmer is a solo artist. Yes, sir. We'll find it. We'll play it. Thank you for the call, man. Appreciate it. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. Today she's got a little lost and found. Stuff you haven't heard in a long time. You call her, tell her what you want, and she'll try to get it on for you. Tomorrow we'll do the Aunt Jemima song for you again. Didn't get to get to it. A couple listeners coming in tomorrow to hang out into the studio, and it's going to be a good day. It's Friday tomorrow. See you tomorrow morning at 5.30. Mikey Show's out.
