It is 6-0-4. Amy Winehouse's husband has started divorce proceedings on the grounds of adultery by Amy. Former Padre Ricky Henderson and Jim Rice were elected into Baseball's Hall of Fame yesterday. Eddie has a great story about Ricky Henderson. What was it? Where did you meet him at? At spring training. Yeah? Yeah. Well, we went there to cover the Padres one year. And, you know, we had this little liner that... We had different players read. It just basically said, you know, hi, I'm, and then we left it blank for them to say their name from the San Diego Padres, and you're listening to blah, blah, blah, blah. Right. Well, everybody was doing them, and then I handed it to Ricky, and Ricky read it, hi, I'm from the San Diego Padres. And I had to, like, explain to him that you have to add your name in there, Ricky. How great is that? Ricky Henderson, of course, very well known for referring to himself in the third person. When he talks about us saying, well, Ricky thinks this, Ricky thinks that. In fact, at one point, he contacted Kevin Towers. This is a true story. At one point, he contacted Kevin Towers and said to Kevin Towers, Ricky is ready to play baseball. And Ricky wants to play for the Padres again. You know, if I'd have been Kevin Towers, I would say, that's cool. Just have Ricky give me a call. You know what I mean?
When you see him. When you see him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I can't talk to you about confidential stuff, so have Ricky call me personally. Work out the details. And refer to me in first person, and then I'd be happy to talk to Ricky about that, you know? 570-1053 is the number. The text number is 35253. And the answering machine number is 858-715-1923. And so we would love to hear from you in any of those ways. Text message right now is flavor of the week. People enjoy the text messaging. So if you want to do that, 35253. If you've never done it before, just text the word Mikey to 35253. And hopefully you are a P1 if you're listening right now. If you're not a P1, we'd like you to be a P1. A P1 is a Mikey Show listener. You are an exclusive listener to the Mikey Show. You're not spreading your love around to other radio shows. You show your devotion to one radio show, and it's the Mikey Show. When you call in, you turn your radio down. You get to the point. You don't cuss. That's the rules. No the rules.
570-1053 is the number. If you're calling, turn your radio down. Get to the point. Don't cuss. A lot of stuff in the news today. A lot of stuff going on on the show today. I was already telling Sky before the show began that President Bush gave his final press conference yesterday and that he said some stuff. And not only did he say some stuff, he said some stuff in a particular way. That was not very eloquent. What? What? No. Maybe it's a little... You know, you go out like you come in, Mike. That's right, Eddie. Stay true. Play within your limits. That's it, man. It's all about being consistent. That's right. I have to take this necklace off because it rattles too much. I like it. My wife got it for me for Christmas, but when I wear it, you hear this every time I move a half a centimeter. You're like a kitty cat. That's right. With a bell around your neck. Seriously. That's what it is.
5701053, Texas, 35253. And you can use our answering machine number two. It's 858-715-1923. Lots of stuff yesterday. Here's the things that I really want to hit on today. The Bush deal with him giving his last press conference yesterday. I can't believe new president in a week. New president in a week, man. Awesome. It's just a changing of a guard. It's historic. Then we just got to wait around for something crazy to happen in the first six months. According to Biden, I'm nervous. Do you smell what Barack is cooking? I think he's right, by the way. It just creeps me out that he said it out loud. But everything in Israel creeps me out. It's getting worse, not better. They really want to fight. They want to fight real hard. They like to fight. Why do they like it so much? And then when they make an agreement not to do it anymore, they're like, forget that. That's so five minutes ago. Had my fingers crossed. Yeah. Why don't they just take a nap and watch American Idol? Dude, seriously. Maybe they don't get American Idol. Oh, maybe that's the problem. That it probably is. Send DirecTV over there or something. Send them a TiVo too. Send them a dish. Uh,
Seven people on the Mikey show. What? Yeah, there's seven of us. And I'm the host of the program. My name is Mikey. And I'm 38 years of age. That's what you can know about me right off the bat. 38 years of age. And in my life, I've lived in Georgia, Arizona, California, New York, and Texas. Wow. I've lived in those different places. That's a lot. Born in Guam. Born in Guam. Oh, Guam, baby. Show off. We get it. That's right. I got another brother was made in Japan. Oh. How about that? Is there a sticker on him that says that? That's right. There is. That's crazy. When we are together, there's no doubt we're brothers. Me and that one. He's got a shaved head, too. And we both have claymation noses. Oh. That's sweet. You can tell right off the bat, you go, oh, those two guys are either brothers or a couple dancing raisins. What are you going to do? You know what I mean? Eddie is our producer. He's our sports guy. And he's 35 years of age. And we grew up together. He grew up in Gilroy. I grew up in Gilroy. Eddie once broke the ashtray in my truck with his foot.
Thought it was funny. I thought your reaction was funny. It wasn't. It wasn't funny. What happened was funny. I mean, it was an accident. I was crossing my leg and his truck and the ashtray was out and I accidentally kicked it and it came off. It did not come off. It broke. Oh, you see what I mean with this? Here we go. It didn't come off. We're visiting a painful place. It wasn't like we were driving an Ashton Martin or anything. Well, it's not an Ashton Martin. Or whatever. Ashton Kutcher. I even tried to super glue it, Eddie. Well, that's ridiculous. A little duct tape would have been fine. Let's see. Sky is our news girl. Part of her duties on the Mikey show used to be to arrange beer and strippers for me. That is true. Different time. Interesting. Different time. I liked the script club. Yeah. Dealing with Scrippers was. Scrippers. With Scrippers was quite, you know, they had interesting requests. Yeah. Like the one time the girl showed up to, quote, perform and asked me if I had a razor. I thought that was different. I said, no, surprisingly, I don't have a razor. Yeah, let me go grab one for you.
I don't. No, I'm sorry. She probably looked at you like you were ridiculous. Yeah, yeah. You said, oh, I'm not a scripper. Yeah, my dad. I didn't know. No. Sean is our sound effects guy. I don't see him. Where's... He's offline. Oh, I see him. You see him? I'm not offline. Yeah, hi. Hi, Sean. Why does this always happen? It says offline for us. I just checked. It says offline. Oh, no. I'm so sorry. Oh, now he's online. Okay. Now he's... He's offline for me. Refresh. I'm logging out. You could have just refreshed. Oh, I'm doing the logout method. That's a method. I like the method that takes longer. Yeah, the rhythm method. Here, you get pregnant that way. What? What are you going to do to your hair? What do you mean? You're going to let it just grow? Yeah, it's growing free, Mike. Are you going to do that again? Yeah, I am. I like the mutton chops. Thanks. They're cool. He's rocking the mutton chops. Oh, wow. Well, I want to do a beard desperately. Never going to happen. You want to do a full beard? I want a full beard. Why aren't you even trying? It won't grow in right here. I did. I tried over the break for two weeks, but they're just like long hairs. You know what? Every guy can relate to this.
If you have facial hair, every guy can relate to the spots that you just wish were a little bit more thick. They got to come out with some sort of pen. You can fill those spots in. Can you do Rogaine on your face? I don't think so. I love Seth. Try it. Just get a bunch of mascara, dude. Mascara. There we go. By the way, Rob came over and proceeded to not get Sean on my screen. No, I brought up that login thing that we've got every day. And now we just wait and all of a sudden it will magical. Yeah. Some magic thing will happen. What happens? I don't know. Yesterday I tried doing the login. Eddie, don't mess with it. Eddie, don't mess with it. Eddie will fix it immediately. Here he goes. We have a new way. We have a new way. Eddie's marching over here. He's going to fix it right now. Leave it to Eddie. No, the way it works now is that screen comes up, it asks you to log in, you leave it there, and then just magically it will appear. You've got to wait for the unicorns to fly down. There's a button that says, there's a button that Eddie just clicked on. I watched him and said, go to the old way. Yeah, switch back. He did. And then he'll switch back again and it'll still be that login screen. Watch. Been there, done that.
Eddie's shaking his head like she doesn't know what she's talking about. Okay, we'll see. Relax. What does it look like, Riz? Oh, it was the login. Relax. See, it was the login. Everybody relax. Everybody take it easy. She just got to wait for the unicorn, bro. Everybody take it easy. The unicorn worked yesterday. I did this yesterday and it worked. Let me keep introducing. I've so far... No, let's wait for... I've so far introduced myself. I don't know, Eddie. Myself, Eddie, Sky. I'll wait here and tell you. Sean. Ashley's our assistant producer. She's show member number five. She's our assistant producer. She's a blonde girl. And she leads one of the most interesting lives of a young, vibrant, attractive 25-year-old girl in Southern California that I think I've ever met. And, you know, you get a certain perception. You know, you get a certain perception. You know, she's young. She's very hip. She's very cool. And I just sort of had this image of her that on the weekends,
It was all about a social life that I could only dream of having where there are, you know, young people and, you know, cool music and, you know, flat screen plasmas going on. And that's just what I had pictured, you know. And I got a text from her on Saturday night about the football game because, you know, here's Arizona killing the Panthers. And you know that she's a big fan of that Fitzgerald for the for the Arizona Cardinals. Yeah, he's real good. So anytime he does something really great, you know, she sends a text to say something about him. Like one time she said he's a miracle. And then this last Saturday night, she sends me a text about him. What'd you say? He's supernatural. He's supernatural. And so I'm like, oh, Ashley's watching the game. I just, for whatever reason, my mind just thought, oh, she's probably with a bunch of friends. Huge party going on. Huge party, you know.
Why? With an abandoned warehouse. Yes. Cool snacks. Why would you think that? People laughing. Cool music on in one room. Game on in the other. Just, you know, commotion. Like, oh, look out. I got my drink. You almost walked into me. Whoa. What's going on? Ashley, what was the reality? Well, I was at home with my dog. Watching the game. Saturday night. Saturday night. In bed by like 9.45. It was cool. Oh, man. We flipped back and forth between Practical Magic and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Both great flicks. Eddie summed it up with one word. Sad. Sad. Very sad. And tucked in by like 10. It was awesome. This is not the image that I imagined. It's not what I imagined. I don't know what you want. It's a complete contradiction to what she used to be. I'm tired, man. It's better than what she used to be. It's just not really what I expected. It went from fat Tuesday to lazy Sunday. Thank you. So accurate. So right on. 570-1053. Call us. Say hi.
Talk about whatever you want. At the beginning of the show, we do open phones so you can call about anything you want to call in about. What did you see on TV last night? What's coming on TV tonight? What's going on in your life? My voice still isn't back to normal. I know this because I sing in my car privately and then announce it publicly on the air. You're not able to hit those. If I'm not able to hit certain notes, I know. I know. It's not right yet, you know. I'll be like all. Nope, not right yet. Not right yet. You probably shouldn't have done that. Try again tomorrow. That was me laughing earlier privately in the car. Boston Rob is the guy sitting over there with Boston tattooed on his throat wearing the Boston Red Sox baseball cap. He's got on a Dustin Pedroia Boston Red Sox shirt. Here we go. That's right. MVP. Now you go.
Yeah. Where'd you get that? For Christmas? The store? No. We'll tell you more about Rob later. You've been robbed. Oh. And then there's the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Junior, Esquire, MD, DDS, President, and CEO. As seen on TV. All right. Cherry's Jubilee and that's it. No more. Zeph. I'm full. Guy's name is Zeph. Uh. Some text messages that we're getting at 35253. Hey, Eddie, is it true that there's talk of trading LT? That's P1 Tinkerbell. Stop. Stop. Is it true? Stop. Eddie, is it true? That's not even true. It's not true. That's not even a rumor. It's a rumor. It is? But that's all it is. That is a rumor. It's a rumor that's being talked about in the UT. It's not being talked about in Chargers. Who brought it up? Kevin AC, who's the beat writer, says five areas to watch. The first thing to watch, LT, staying, released, traded, then what? Sproles, Bennett, draft pick? Oh, Kevin. Get it together. Get it together, bro. That's so stupid. Why did he pick that? I don't know. Is this weird? I don't know. Apparently, LT hasn't done enough for this town, this community, this football team. Oh, Kevin. Have they seen his OG's commercials? Thank you.
They're fantastic. He delivers pizza to your house and office. Who does that? Who does that on their off time? Hello, Vizio. Come on, please. Those earrings he has in that commercial are worth more than my house. They're flawless. They're amazing. I'm surprised his earlobes aren't resting on his shoulders because there are so many carrots there. Leonardo DiCaprio is trying to steal him. Seriously. Oh, it's fantastic. Blank, blank. Blank, blank. That's hysterical. Oh, my God. Mikey, I need a P1 name. Help me out. I'm a Border Patrol agent down working the line right now. And listen to the show every chance I get. That's P1 needs a name. We don't have a P1 Border Patrol. I don't know. P1 La Migra, bro. There you go, dude. I like that. P1 La Migra. You now have a radio name. Call in. Sky had an interesting take on why the phones have been dead. She said that that law went into effect that won't let you put the phone up to your ear. Oh, yeah. So a lot of people are driving.
I didn't even think of that. Because a lot of our calls are from P1s in their car on their way to work. And lately, we haven't had as many calls as we used to have. And I think it's the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth. Hard to hear on that thing. Dude, it can be tough. It's awkward. Somebody says, just curious why you must turn your radio down when you call in. That's P1 Yo-Yo Ma. The reason you turn your radio down is because we work on a six-second delay. And so if the radio is not turned down, we hear ourselves in the background. And it's confusing. Either way, if you got it up, we're going to hear us in the background. Even if we didn't have the delay, there'd be feedback. You just got to turn down. Let's see. Mikey, breaking news. Here it is again. We're on the block. Tomlinson to be traded. Oh, my gosh. No. Eddie, what do you know? What do you know? Eddie! Does he know? I know that's annoying. Yeah. Oh, no. Eddie, does Kevin Acy know that this is what's happened? That he's made people think like, oh, my goodness, LT is getting traded. No, that he wants to be the guy that, you know, started that. Oh, you know, have you heard about LT? Now everybody's doing it.
So he started that, and it's a joke, man. It's like the chamois. One guy does it, and then everybody does it. And then before you know it, everything's getting sucked up. Everything's absorbed. Are you following me, cameraman? Take a look at that. Look at that thing. Check this out. Hey, Mikey, I got a golden retriever puppy, and I listen to the Mikey Show every day. Mikey Show rocks, P1 no-name. Hey, Mikey, just wondering, who is that recording of that says, that's crazy? That's crazy. That's crazy. Wow, that's dead on. That's crazy. P1 Wonderman. That's Tracy Morgan. Yep, so funny. Tracy Morgan. In fact, Craig Gass, comedian Craig Gass, master of voices and the pan flute, does Tracy Morgan as a regular part of his stand-up routine now, and it came from being on the show. He heard that clip, and he loved it, did it, realized...
Yeah, I can do Tracy Morgan. You can do it dead on, too. And so now that's a big part of his show. He says, hey, Mikey, love the show. P1 Mailman. P1 Herald says, I love you guys. I like it to strip club. The script. The script club. I like it to strip club. P1 Serial texts in and says, Oracle, do you think that we'll sign Sproles? That is a good question. When we've talked to our NFL insider on our pregame show, I asked him, you know, do you think that there's going to be a big market for Darren Sproles? And he said no. He thinks, you know, there will be some teams that will make some offers. But he still doesn't believe, after all is said and done, that he can be an every down back. So he's not going to get a ton of, like, huge offers like Michael Turner did. I think AJ will probably wait around a little bit, see what's happening out there, and see what kind of offers he makes, and then he'll probably counter. I think Sproles will be back on the team. I hope so. What does Kevin say? What does Kevin AC say about it? Who cares? Mikey, I take full responsibility for the Chargers' loss. Every game day, I have chuddy, so for breakfast. Yesterday, I had machaca. Why would you do that? He won rehab. Good job.
Why did you do that? Kevin A.C. doesn't even know about this. Now, there's the story. That's the story right there. This text says, good morning, everybody. Wanted to let you know that there will be an online radio show tribute to you guys tonight. That's P1 No Name. What? I don't know. Just a shout out to Boston Rob's Patriots. We'll be back. Oh, what? P1 Derek World Gym. Oh, yeah. That's my boy. Yeah. You know Derek? Yeah. You work out where you do? Yeah. How did that text get through? I don't know. They just jump on the page. Rob is the text guy. Let's see. Hey, Eddie got one of those. I saw these on TV. And I thought they looked kind of cool. And Eddie got one last night. Domino's has those. What about Domino's? Sandwiches that they're like baking in the oven. Oven baked sandwiches. They're delish. They blow any.
sandwich away right now. Well, they've done a taste test with some other delis and they've beaten them all out. Good delis, too. What's the deal with the tracking thing? It's really cool. You order online and it tracks the whole process online. You've got 30 minutes! She's helping you out. I got it. She's helping you. I did it last night. I know the score. She's a veteran. Ashley wants to know what the name of the guy is. When you put your order in online, it takes you through the entire process. It says, so-and-so received your order. Let's say Phil. Phil received your order and is preparing your meal. I changed my mind. Okay. Natasha. Natasha is now putting your sandwich in the oven. Yeah, yeah. Natasha is taking out. There's a John, there's a Randy. I've never seen a Natasha. Well, that's your store. I mean, there's several different Domino's. There's more than one, you're saying? There's more than one. No. There is more than one. I think there's a James. Oh, wow, they're up and coming. Apparently, Domino's has more than one store. Anyway. What? It's unbelievable.
And it has different lights to show you where they are in the process. It will go from red to green. Like how close they are? Like when they've left and all that? It'll tell you. So-and-so has left the store and will arrive at your place in six minutes. I'm looking forward to the days when they have GPS on those cars so you can see actually how close they are to your house. It's pretty cool. Those sandwiches are good, man. Texas 35253. Eddie, do the Chargers have enough cap room to keep Sproles and LT? Yeah. Yeah. What's the rumor? Yeah. Stop it. Don't talk about that anymore. I want to know. Hey, Mikey. Hey, Mikey. I'm looking into getting into saltwater tanks. Are nano tanks a good start into the hobby? That's P1 Loodog. I would say no, Loodog. They're tough. Eddie had one. I gave up. They're tough because it's very delicate. And when you have smaller space, any minor little thing you do different can jack it all up. That's tougher. Does nano just mean it's smaller? Mm-hmm. A nano tank is a little tank. Mikey, who cares if LT gets traded? Hopefully we get Marian Barber. At least he won't. Oh, Eddie. Oh, Eddie. Hold on. Take a breath. Take a breath. Breathe in and out. Cleansing breaths. Eddie just put his hands up to his head. And then he looked at Rob like...
You let that go through to kill my day? You let that go through knowing what I can do, what I'm capable of? You let that text through? I'm embarrassed as a Charger fan that this is the second year in a row that LTE's been hurt in the playoffs and now this is the garbage. You aren't fans. Anybody that's saying this, you're not fans. Don't ever wear Charger stuff or go to games and things like that. That's garbage. That makes me sick. You know who would not do that? Who? Natasha. I guarantee you she would not do that. I've never met her. I wouldn't know. Guaranteed to you. No way, Jose. It's a delicious sandwich. Mikey, how do you all feel about Prince Harry's new situation? That's P1 Lucky Strike. If you haven't heard, Prince Harry was making racial slurs. He's taping. It was like his own video. And he said Paki, which I guess in. you know, England is like really derogatory for Pakistani. It's so weird because we don't even know about that here. Yeah, Paki, you can't say that. And he also said raghead and it upset a lot of people there. And so anyway, that's making big news right now. How do I feel? A lot of times I feel sorry for people that are a victim of themselves. I really do. Like they don't know how to get out of their own way.
It's like they're taking their fist and punching themselves, you know, honestly. And so what I think is I go, well, I feel bad for the people that's feelings that were hurt by it. And I feel bad for him because he's not, you know, he's punching himself in the face. And you want to just take his wrist and go, don't punch yourself. Mikey, who will win? This is not a question for me. This is a question for the Oracle. Oracle. Who will win between Franklin and Henderson at UFC 93 this weekend as P1 Charlie? You know, I think that that is going to actually turn out to be kind of a boring fight. And I think Henderson will eke out a victory. Yeah? Yeah. Because it's not going to be very exciting. I think he's going to probably take Rich Franklin down and kind of hold him down for three rounds. I know that's just my opinion. I don't know. A lot of these friends. Not really. We're talking to Dan Henderson this week from Ireland. From Irish. Direct from Irish. Oh, wow. This is kind of funny. On the line with me right now is a girl named Natasha that works at Domino's. Get out of here. Hi, Natasha. Hi. How are you? I'm pretty good. You must have heard that right now and thought, how bizarre is this? They're talking about me. How did Mikey know that I worked at Domino's? Domino's. Yes, I do. That's pretty awesome. What Domino's location do you work at?
The one over by San Diego State. That's pretty awesome. Now, with that tracker thing, how do we know that it's actually you that's preparing my meal? There's actually somebody that just sits at the computer and just looks over everything and keeps typing and just submits it onto the Internet. Oh, that's kind of a cool job. I like that. That's great. I love it. Thank you. Hey, Natasha, have a good one. Thank you. Have a good one. Let's see. 5701053 is the number. Our text number is 35253. Let's see. Tony Dungy, Eddie. Yeah. What's the deal? Well, we announced yesterday that he did officially step down as the Colts head coach. We got a clip of him doing this. He's a good guy, too, man. Everybody loves Tony Dungy. Cut 27. You really don't think about this or preparing something for when you retire. I've been blessed, tremendously blessed, to play three years in the NFL and coach 28. And those 31 years have been fantastic. And because of that, you're going to have to bear with me because I have a lot of people to thank.
She told me to bring some Kleenex. I thought I would make it a little farther than the first sentence. I would do it by mail. That's great. Snail mail. Just so I know that I'm in Hawaii when they're reading it. Because even the paper thing would cry. Even my written statement would cry. Mikey, the Domino's Chicken Parmesan is da bomb. People really like it, dude. It's pretty good. 5701053 is the number. Our text number is 35253. Killer show today. Sky could barely fit everything on the board that we're doing today. Nice. First of all, we got a list of the 10 worst comedians. And we got clips of them. The 10 worst comedians. Also, you got robbed. Oh, you got robbed. There you go. Rob out on the street. You can also see the video at MikeyShow.com. You can see the video.
So you can hear it on the show, see it online. We're going to do P1 Password today for WEC tickets. Awesome. How about that? Top Chef, Executive Chef, Ocean Air Restaurant, San Diego, Brian Malarkey was on the show. Top Chef is going to be in the studio. In the studio or no? Yeah, in the studio today. Also, we're doing products that you get addicted to. There's some stuff that you use that once you start, you can't stop. You have to continue to use because you get addicted to it. It's kind of a different kind of thing that I was thinking there. So addicted. Mitch Hedberg in the stand-up spotlight. The Mikey Show stand-up spotlight. I've got a lot of colleges lately. Westbound 52 at the 15 freeway. Looks like some lanes may be still blocked, but traffic is just coming to a crawl here. As you come over that... The summit here out of T.R. Santa into the Kearney Mesa area. Once again, it's westbound 52 at the 15. Real bad accident here involving some injuries slowing your ride. You've got the south on the 5 looking pretty decent down the shoreline. No major problems there. Maybe just a minor delay as you come down towards Manchester. South 15, the usual slowdown, though, developing out of Escondido off the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Getting into the South Bay, another fender better. South 15 past Market Street. So watch for that.
And you've got a busy ride on the bridge into Coronado. Pretty much full-span backup, so give yourself some extra time if you're heading over to the island this morning. Used to do music beds on The Mikey Show when we had them edited to just be the music. We didn't have the lyrics in there. Oh, yeah. Welcome back. It is 642. Yesterday, Escondido police impounded 28 cars and made two arrests within two hours at a checkpoint. really gnarly injuries, because I just think it makes it worse. I don't want to drive a Ferrari on the bad wheels, because I may jack up the whole car and mess it up forever. Yeah, Crow had a rough season, and a lot of that had to do with that injury, man. He was not himself. That's not good. That's not good. Let's see. 570-1053 is a phone number. Our text number is 35253. Yesterday, was it yesterday that this gang member got sentenced, Sky? Yeah. Yesterday. Tell what happened. Well, back in 2006, a Oceanside police officer was shot to death while basically, you know, working the gang violence, working the gang beat. I don't know what the right word is.
But in Oceanside, and so at the time, the shooter was 16 years old. And so, you know, the attorney for this kid was hoping that, you know, he'd get a lesser sentence because at the time that this all started and the legal proceeding started, he was 16 years old. Well, now he was finally sentenced yesterday, and now he's 18 years old, and the judge did not have any leniency for him. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Wow. Yeah, so they're saying that they hope that this sends, you know, a message to other gang members, Cut 45. I think the judge did the right thing. A message needs to be sent to gang members. You aim a gun and fire at a police officer and you kill a police officer, you're going to get the maximum sentence and the full strength of the law is going to come down on you. So the parents of this kid were obviously devastated and were pleading, oh, he was just a kid when he did this. And the father of the killed police officer had no sympathy for that. Cut 47. That someone who terrorized the community and murdered the police officer who was separate to protect his own neighborhood would not have a chance to do that to anybody. I think plus that guy, the feeling must be, you know, you can visit your son.
Yeah. Wow. That's a good point to you. That's got to be a bummer for him. Let's see. What else is going on in the world? Apparently, the television show American Idol is back tonight. What do you think about this? That's tonight? Wow. Yeah, we got a new judge. I'm not ready. Me neither. Paul is still on it, right? Yeah. She's still on it, but they have a new chick on there. Four judges. Four. Four. Four. Can it be split? Apparently. Yeah. I think that's how they do it in England anyway, right? They have four? Yeah. Well, if you have four judges and two say yeah, you go to Hollywood and two say no, what do you do then? I think. You flip a coin. Simon has the final word. Simon gets the final word if it's a split. Really? Yeah. He's got to love that. I like that. Please. So they go down the line. Oh, that'd be kind of cool. I just got it in my head. Yeah, that's cool. Yes, yes, no, Simon. Yes. Wait a minute. No, so even if it's split, so two no's and two yes's, it will go back to Simon. Well, why would he ever say yes? Why would he ever say anything other than what he said? Well, maybe his initial vote was yes, or maybe it was no, or maybe the other judges made compelling arguments. Huh.
I don't think he would ever side with anybody against his own thought, would he? Well, I guess we'll find out. Yeah, I guess we'll find out. But if the other three agree and he disagrees, I would think that that person would still get through. Oh, yeah, because that's not Ty. Is the new chick American or British? I think she's American. Is she? Oh, boo. Yeah, I like it. It's more interesting. Boo. Get out of here. I prefer Egyptian. Yeah. Something with an accent. You know what I mean? That's more interesting. Yeah. That's weird. You know what, dog? You know what, dog? I think it was good. There you go. I'd like to hear that. That's different. This is Cara DeGuardi. This is the new judge. Cut 38. In the beginning, I was just, you know, a little bit like, oh, my God, there are all these cameras, all these people. What's going on here? Paula turned to me and said, are you going to be you? Kind of like that. And I got the message. Paula turned to me and said, are you taking my job? Yeah. Are you stealing my thunder? Yeah. And then nodded off. Do you have any Percocet? Yes. That was the quote. Did you steal my pills? That's right. So we'll see, man. Yeah. We'll see how that goes. A lot of people, like myself, I would rather wait until they're done with all this and just start getting into a competition.
People love the audition process. Yeah. Worse. And they were saying, I was reading something, I don't have the info in front of me, and Eddie, you may know about this, that the audience is going to get to pick some people who get to go through to Hollywood this year. I have no idea. Yeah. That's kind of cool. Yeah. You know, Ashley was on the American Idol auditions and was just one step away from Hollywood, actually. That's true. A lot of steps. That is true. She made it all the way, you know, to one step just right away from Hollywood. No. I was one step away. And then she ultimately didn't make it, but she's saying her heart out. I'll tell you that much right now. Conversion. Software version 7.0. It's Kermit the Frog. No, this is one of those foreign idols. Chechnyan idol. This guy's going to be the new judge. He's great. You guys, that was me. What? 570-1053 is the phone number. Our text number is 35253 if you want to give us a text. Sky in her yesterday email said that she was running around town dealing with bank stuff. What does that mean? Yeah. Are you Rob? Yeah. Yeah. You do direct deposit now, right? Yes. Which was a big thing because Sky used to not do direct deposit. No, I was scared of it.
And do you do online banking? Well, not really. I mean, I'll make transfers from, say, my savings to my checking, but I don't pay bills or anything online. You do not. There you go, guys. That's crazy. You still buy stamps and put... Yes. Yes. Get the bill in the mail. Yes. Write a check out. Yes, I do. And send it. Eddie, do you do that too? I do a little of both, which is kind of weird, but I don't know. There's something still that I like about writing a check. Really? Yeah, I don't know what it is about that. So why were you running around to banks yesterday? Taking pictures of them. Smelling the money. Oh, scrapbooking. I like to be close to my children. Rub them. So I'm 31 years old. And, you know, sometimes you can do things that just make you feel like you're five years old and you don't get it. And you have, like, it's just so naive. Like, I felt like such an idiot yesterday. So I've always belonged to a credit union. And, you know, had the same bank account, like, forever, you know, since I was, like, 14 years old and opened a savings account. And so I...
since moving here, have never needed to take out more money than the ATM will allow. Well, I needed to take out more money yesterday than the ATM would allow. And so I go to the credit union near my house where I use their ATM all the time with no fees. And I go in and she says, oh, I'm like, yes, I'd like to make a withdrawal. And she says, your account number, please. I give her my account number and she goes, you don't have an account here. And I said, oh, well, I am a member of a credit union up in Northern California by a different name. But I thought like you could go to any credit union and take your money out. How come you thought that? Because I'm five years old. Oh, wow. Yeah. You know way more about that stuff than I do. But I never actually bank in a bank. You thought all credit unions were the same? I thought they were all linked or something. I don't know, in my mind. It's me, Sky. Could I have my money? Yes. I'll take $5 million. Remember me from San Jose.
You're all linked up, right? I swear they were. I swore, I don't know, for some reason in my head, I made that link. So I opened my account at San Jose Only Credit Union. And I'm confused that I can't use it here in San Diego. It's a little different. And so I said to the lady, well, how do I get my money? And she says, well, you're going to have to call them and ask them. Oh, my God. So basically, I cannot withdraw money from my bank account. I called the credit union. They said, well, we could write you a check and send it to you, and then you could take it to a check cashing facility and pay a fee. I'm like, so you're telling me I have to pay a fee to get my money? And she said, well, you could open a new bank account down there, and then we could wire transfer the money, but that would take at least 72 hours. And I'm like, but I need this money tomorrow. There's no way for me to access my own money. But that means that you haven't accessed this money in four years. You've never gone into a bank in four years? No, I haven't needed to take out more money than the ATM has allowed. Or I'll say like write a check for things. But this is a scenario where I can't write a check. I need cash and it needs to be more than the ATM will allow. This is the first time this has happened to me in four years. And I cannot access my money. I cannot get my money. Wow.
Really weird. The whole story is like Doritos. I felt like such an idiot yesterday. I walked into that bank and said, I'd like to make a withdrawal. Here is my account. I want my money. I felt like such a dork. Oh, I was so mad. That is fantastic. Stop it. So what are you going to do now? You've got to close that account, Hermie, and open up a new one. Well, first of all, my mom is going to give me the money from her bank account, and I'm going to write her a check. So that's how I'm going to get the money in the short term, and I guess I'm going to have to get a new bank account down here in San Diego. Yeah. I think it's time, Skye. I still got an account in Massachusetts. You do? Why? And he thinks it's hysterical. You guys are weird. I still have my bank cards from when I lived in Hawaii, dude. At home. I wonder how much money is in there. Oh, you're weird. You're weird. You guys are weird. You guys are weird. Where am I right now? With the interest that's built up, I'm probably like... A millionaire? Yeah. Off of seven cents, bro? Yeah, dude, it's still only $4. When we come back, don't go away. When we come back, I'm going to tell you,

Sky went into a credit union here in San Diego and wanted to withdraw her money. And they said, can we have your account number? She gave him her account number. They said, you don't have an account here. And Sky realized that, you know, oh, all credit unions are not linked and they're not the same, you know. It's like affiliated. It's like going to a museum in San Diego and saying, may I please see the Mona Lisa? Like going into a Burger King and ordering a Big Mac. They all sell hamburgers here, right? What's the deal? Well, they do all sell hamburgers. You know, right? It would be like... No, it would not be like any of these things. Well, if you go, I thought this was a museum. You can go to a Wells Fargo anywhere if you belong to Wells Fargo. Right. I belong to a credit union. I should be able to go to any credit union. No. No. Yes. That's not how it works. You guys are jerks. Every museum doesn't have the Mona Lisa and every credit union doesn't have your money. Why? It's all on a stupid computer anyway. Like, I'm good for it. Yeah, it is, but they're a computer. They're owned by different people. Yeah, it's their computer, you know.
And why would a wire transfer take 72 hours? Okay, you can't get mad at your stuff. It's my money. Why can't I access it? You can have it. They want to give it to you. I just have to drive eight hours. No, you don't have to drive. You can fly. Take the stagecoach. I shouldn't have to pay a fee to get my own money. You should have closed your account when you moved. It makes great interest. Eddie, why would I do that if I can just walk into the credit union? That's what I thought. So I saw no problem with it. That's a fantastic story. Oh, my God. Don't laugh. It's beyond. I can't even comprehend it. It's one of those crazy ones. You know, but she, hey, listen. She didn't know. She honestly didn't know. She admitted this was one of those things she didn't know. She didn't know. Yeah, I felt like a 12-year-old going, can I please open a savings account? P1 Chelsea is on the line and says, Sky's completely crazy. She's not. Chelsea? She's not crazy. She's not crazy. No, you can do that. You have to go to a credit union that's...
Like, California Coast Credit Union, if it's an outlet, you can go there if you belong to any union. Oh, that's cool. Or only any credit union. Wait, what? She said if you go to one, like, if you do go to one that has branches in other cities, you're good to go. No, that's not what I was saying. That's not what she said. No. I'm saying, like, I belong to Vons Credit Union. Yeah. And there's only one in San Diego. So I can go to California Coast Credit Union because they're an outlet and I can bank there. Oh, there you go. So you can make a withdrawal from your account there. But I can't go to San Diego County Credit Union and then go to Boise's Credit Union. Precisely, Eddie, but you can go to Los Gatos Credit Union. No, she is saying that I can do this. No, you can't. Yes, you can. If it's an outlet credit union, you can. Does mine have to be an outlet or only the one? No, just the one you're going to. Oh. So there are some places that will honor any credit union in the country? Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Uh-oh. That pretty sure part kind of. I know that I can go, like, I have Vons Credit Union because I work for Vons. Yeah. And they only have one in San Diego. So if I go to an outlet credit union, such as California Code Credit Union, I can bank there. But it sounds like they've got, both have to be like a member of this network. Yeah.
Yeah, as long as it's an outlet credit union. Like on the back of your card, you got the NYCE and the star logo, all those logos. You've probably got to be a member in that. And if your credit union was, I'm sure they would have offered it to you, Sky. Yeah, because I was asking them. The bank you belong to, it's the bank that you're trying to go to. So maybe the one that you try to go to isn't an outlet. Like San Diego County Credit Union. isn't an outlet. The California coast is an outlet. Yeah, because I talked to my people up in San Jose and they said, yeah, sorry, the only way you can get this money is a check or a wire transfer. Which is interesting that if you go into this credit union that Chelsea's talking about and you happen to be a part of a grocery store chain in Detroit. Right. That has a credit union. You're saying you can go into this one you're talking about right here in San Diego. Uh-huh. And they've got access to your money from Wegmans Grocery Store Credit Union in Detroit. Right. Good kosher meat. That is something that I've never heard of, but maybe. And still completely different from being able to go into any credit union. Well, yeah. And thinking that your money is available.
No, that isn't why. Skye, the word maybe is probably the word that probably got you there. Wow. Skye, can I go with you today? You want Alexis? Are you there? Alexis? Skye is not crazy. This is true. It's called shared branching. Yeah, I understand that, but that does not mean what she thought. She thought that you can go to any... Will you calm down? She doesn't need you to say it again. She doesn't need you to say it again. Let him say it again. You could go to any credit union because it said credit union on this store. Do you understand, people, what that means? So does my... Say it again, I'll kill you. All right? I'll chop him right off, all right, buddy? That's right. Can I ask this woman some questions? Yes. Okay. Are you kidding me? So I understand. Can you keep you mouth shut, okay? I'm trying to figure this out. There's nothing to figure out. There is, because I want to know if I'm a part of this. I will shake you in your neck. I'll choke your face out. I'm not doing anything. I'll suffocate you with my money blanket. Which I can't get. I'll get you in a credit union lock, and I won't let go.
Until you turn blue and purple. As soon as I get access to my money bags, you're dead. When I return from my trip to San Jose... As soon as Flight 26 lands, you're done. I mean done. Oh, man. Life, huh, Sky? That one? Eddie, do not cheer yourself. Do not hold your hands together and do them over your shoulders. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Alexis, Sky has some questions for you. Go ahead, Sky. This will clear things up. Okay, so I understand that there are certain locations that you can go to. Do you work at Vaughn? Eddie is now laughing and pointing. Not cool. Okay, Sky, come on. My credit union is in Connecticut, and I've kept it there for years.
So if you belong to any credit union, these specific branches will honor you? Or does your credit union, like, have to? Your credit union has to be part of the shared branching network. And if they are, then you can go into any of these shared branching credit unions. Okay, so there's a chance that my credit union isn't a part of this shared network. Yes. That's what it sounds like. Okay, I'll have to look into that. Thank you. But, Skye, I have a feeling that when you called your credit union yesterday, they would have said, don't worry about it. We're a part of the shared branch credit union. Just go to blah, blah, blah. Yeah, they probably would have directed you. You're a gem. Rob, why must you delight? Why must you be tickled? This guy has accounts in Hawaii and Massachusetts. Thank you. This guy communicates with Carrier Pigeon. He's giving her a hard time. He actually uses a Wells Fargo. Horses with a carriage. Hey, it's the safest way. This is great. Wow. P1 Ponce. P1 Ponce works at a credit union. Go ahead, Ponce. This sucks, but Sky's not crazy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We understand. Well, let him explain. Why am I not crazy? Please, I need to know. But all credit unions are linked through the co-op, which means if she had an ATM card, she could use any ATM card at a credit union. Yes. Guess what? I could use my ATM card at the credit union, too. But you pay a fee. You would pay a fee? No, that's different. You would pay a fee. What she's talking about, sir, what she's talking about is that she has an account at a credit union in San Jose, and she thought that she could go to any credit union in the United States and access her account and withdraw thousands of dollars from any credit union in the country. Okay. Which is cute. It is cute. Sir. Stop it. Ponce. What's that? The shared branching network works. The most you can withdraw in 24 hours is $500. Wait. Yeah, that's through the ATM. Ponce, you're talking about an ATM. I want to go into the bank and withdraw more than $500. Most you can withdraw through shared branching location is $500 in a 24-hour period. She's not part of the shared branching. But even if I was, I'd still be screwed. But, Ponce, what you're talking about applies to every soul listening right now. I appreciate you, sir. Every human being can use an ATM card. Don't sweat it, Sky.
No, not unless you're friends. I'm trying to support her. Poor thing made a little mistake. You were hysterically laughing when you said, don't sweat it, Scott. It's too much. I don't know what to say. Hey, listen. I love that one. She's good. You. She's real good. You. You're good. 570-1053. Our text number is 3525. 35. 253. All right. Do we have time? No. No. Eddie's saying... We'll discuss more in the breaks. No, I don't. I'm done discussing it. I'm done discussing it. I will help you. I'm telling you, I don't think she wants to discuss. I can see that look on her face. We are best friends. This guy, friends in 09. He said... Eddie said friends in 09. Big time. Big time. That is not an amused face.

We've got a tough ride in some areas, especially on the 52 westbound. Coming out of Santee right now, that is just a crawl here, trying to get up the hill into Tierra Santa, into Kearney Mesa. There was a bad accident blocking lanes here involving a motorcycle and an overturned car right before the 15 freeway. And emergency crews are on the scene, and that's what's causing that major backup here. So give yourself some extra time. Actually, you're being advised to avoid it. possibly can as a traffic advisory is now in place there. The westbound 8, that's got a little bit of a tight ride here from Spring Street out to Lake Murray, but much better than that 52. From there, you're good to go all the way to Mission Valley. Both 5805 northbound out of the South Bay have got heavier rides out of Chula Vista up in the National City, especially this 5 freeway. That stays all the way up to the bridge and a full span back up on the bridge trying to get into Coronado to give yourself some extra time there. 805 northbound continues slow in the North Park.
and then a minor delay over the 52. South 15, bumper-to-bumper, as always, off to 78 down to Via Rancho Parkway out of Escondido. And the Coaster Rites picking up some brake lights now as well on South 5 out of Encinitas in the Salana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Mikey's show continues. Featuring Mikey. I'm really interested in weather. Eddie. You know me, dude. I'm entrenched in sports. Sky. I know I'm a loud talker. Sean. I can't watch people cry. Boss and Rob. I have a whole... DVD collection of Red Sox, though. And Ashley. I do my part to help global warming. On Rock 105.3. It's not that big a deal. I've just spent five minutes explaining what a big deal is. And you're going to come in and say, Sky, it's not a big deal. Mike, it's ham, it's sunburn, it's side of rice. It is on that level. It's so good. Yeah.
Well, I think that it was a mistake that probably she is not the first to make. I think that others have probably made this mistake. I think it was apparent by the callers. I know it all, bro. Oh, man. It is 720. One person was killed yesterday when a helicopter crashed on the campus of Texas A&M University. Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera interviews for the Lions head coaching job. Before we went to break, I told you that we were going to tell you why Howie Mandel was hospitalized. And I will tell you that in just moments. Our text messages read as follows. No, they do not. We have no text messages. Oh, no. Mikey Sky has to be doing a bit. I mean, dot, dot, dot. Really? She's got to be messing with you. Yes, it's a bit. I'm messing with you. Any credit union question mark, LOL. That's P1 Wisconsin. Grow up. Mikey, I sure hope Obama knows a bit more about money than his fellow Dems. It's a P1 pub. Laugh out loud. And finally, how much pot is Sky trying to buy? Precious. I know it all, bro. That stinks. Sky, why was Howie Mandel hospitalized? Well, he was in Toronto filming stuff for his new show, How We Do It.
How we do it. Dude, I saw some of it. Is it bad? It is terrible. Dude. It is so bad. What? Oh, man. It is brutal. It was tough to watch. It's like practical jokes. Is it like the fun version of You Got Punk'd? Yeah. Pretty much. The senior citizen version. Except you can tell that everyone's an actor in it. Oh, dude. It's old. bad acting all around. It's like his son doing some of them. So he was in Toronto doing some of that last night when he kind of felt short of breath and ended up going to the hospital and they said that he was suffering from an irregular heartbeat. So they're going to look into that, but he should be released later today. Irregular heartbeats are really bad, man. Well, I don't mean they're bad in terms of like, I don't know what they mean, but I just know they freak me out when I've had them. And I've been told that when I've had that, that it's anxiety, you know, and that the anxiety can actually get your heartbeat beaten differently and all that stuff. Palpitating. Little palpitations. You know what I'm saying? All right. The worst comedians. The worst comedians. Now, where did this list come from, Eddie? It was, I think, a website. Yeah. Coedmagazine.com. Coedmagazine.com.
We have clips of them, and we also have the list itself. Right. And I am going to say Sinbad is probably on that list. Sinbad is number nine. Oh, look at that. Of course, Sinbad. Look at that. Should we just go in order? Should we just go from 10 to 1 and play the clips? Because we have the clips, right? Yeah. Okay, so who's 10? Number 10 is Carrot Top. Oh, come on, man. That guy's hysterical. Props, right? He does props. He uses props. And he lifts weights. A lot. Here's Carrot Top. Where is it? Where are they? Oh, I have them. I didn't realize. They're under the Themes and Stuff page. Oh, okay, gotcha. Now you go. You guys follow football? This is the Patriots' new helmets. They have cameras built into them now. They can cheat a lot easier this next season. You suck! Here's the Packers' new helmets. I guess you gotta see it. Here's Lindsay Lohan's beach towel. That's kind of cool. These are props. I screwed the joke up. It doesn't matter. It's somebody like that. Carrot Top, number 10. Aw, man. I like Carrot Top. I'm not gonna lie.
You do? You enjoy the... These guys have the same hairstyle. Eddie, you're on it. You're really on one. Eddie has already come over and having to give two... Two forced hugs on Skye. This is tough today, Mike. She wasn't having the second one. People make mistakes, Mike. This is not an easy day. I mean, you think we would all really be supportive here. You would think. One would think. Skye just had that, you know, face twitch that you don't control. Like her eye just twitched at him. You know, the one that happens when you're not even meaning for it to happen, but you're so irritated at somebody that your eye just twitches at them. It's all right. Does this happen? Or work passes. Number nine? Number nine is Sinbad. I tell you, man, but you know this, ever since that case, we don't stop for the police like we used to do with you. He won Star Search. He did. He was a leader, I believe, of Star. True story. True story. Sinbad. Three and a quarter stars. You don't hear much about his stand-up career anymore, you know?
You know what I'm saying? Yeah. You don't really hear too much about this. Headlining Barona. I think so. I agree. Not good. Number eight, Sky? Louie Anderson. Any trouble parking out there? Dang. I always think of my dad in those situations because my dad, he just didn't like people. It was very clear, too. He didn't say much. He'd just look at the person and go, look at him. He loved his car, too. He'd introduce it to people. It's my Bonneville. Number seven, Sky? Whoopi Goldberg. Whoopi? Whoopi? I'm not playing a two-minute clip of Whoopi Goldberg. I've never heard of you. I wouldn't if I were you either. I can't do it. You want to know what the deal is with her stand-up and why it's so long? Why? She does, like, set-up jokes. It's weird. Like, you do, like, say, a parrot and, you know, some guy walk into a bar and blah, blah, blah, and it's one of those, and it's two minutes long. Oh, no way.
The punchline is not worth it. I remember, too, Hoopie had a... She had a comedy show that was on HBO, and she would do comedy, and then halfway through the show, she would talk about something tragic that happened in her life. And like it would just, you know, and the whole mood, and like her thing was that she was able to blend. She was able to, I say in finger quotes, able to blend the comedy with that stuff. And it was really, it didn't work for me. It was awkward. It didn't work for me. That's strange. Who's number six? Richard Lewis. Wasn't he? He was on that TV show that was real popular for a long time. It was Jamie Lee Curtis. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's on Curb Your Enthusiasm, too. He's pretty funny. He's good on that. I'm paranoid about everything in my life, even at home. Well, that was his whole thing, was that he's paranoid. His whole deal. Very neurotic. Yes, neurotic and paranoid. Yes, I'm a neurotic Jew, and I'm paranoid. On my stationary bike, I have a rearview mirror, which I'm not thrilled about.
Sadly, my last shrink, she retired about a week ago. I'm freaked out, and it was sort of a nightmare. She was only 24. I guess I burned her out real fast, and the last session was unbelievable. She set herself on fire. She ran out of the session going, no mas, no mas. Jokes, you know, like, oh, it's a joke. It's jokes is what the deal is. It's jokes. Larry the Cable Guy is on. Please. Calm down, Rob. Please. Don't get ahead of yourself. Nobody loves Larry. No, everyone doesn't. Number five. Judy Tanuda. Oh, yeah. Okay. You know, my name is Judy. I have my religion, Judy-ism. Welcome to the Luxor. Yes. Soon you will all be my personal love slaves. Oh, boy. You've never heard of Judy Tenuna? Rob's the worst. Plays the accordion? Yeah. That's funny. That's actually the name of the casino, the accordion. And she plays the accordion every weekend. Yeah. Number four. Rob, it's Jimmy Fallon. Oh. Yeah. I told you. Rob hates Jimmy Fallon. I told you. In your face, Jimmy Fallon. It's so hard to have a conversation with you. You suck. I hate you. It's not what you say, what you do. I just got a money.
That's what breaks my heart to tell you this. It's a joke. Bob's an actual heckler. He really is, though. He did that. Oh, wow. Okay, buddy. All right, you're upset. Move to Cuba. I hear you. Are you funnier than Jimmy Fallon? Of course I am. Really? I got rocks at my house that are funnier than him. Oh, wow. That was a joke. Yes, he's got rocks at his house that are funnier. I think you're going to be surprised. We're getting into the top three. Top three worst comedians. Number three, maybe not. Number two, number one, I think you might be. Number three. I'm a fan of hers. Me too. Kathy Griffin.
recognizes her. And Shaka Khan, who of course is herself internationally recognized, decides to be very gracious. So she walks up to her and she says, Hi Anna, my name is Shaka and I think your show is great. So Anna Nicole looks at Shaka Khan and goes, I didn't believe it. And Shaka, I swear to God, Shaka's thought bubble was like, no she didn't. And I'm like, I know. Eddie, girls and gays, is that the... I guess, because I don't get it. I think girls... Oh yeah, I went to her show to see her live when she was in San Jose. Hilarious. I watched her reality show, which is like, she got a Grammy for it, but it's Academy Award. Really? Academy Award. Really? Academy Award? I heard she was going to win an Academy Award. She's shooting for a Grammy. She got an Academy Award for it. Yeah, yeah. Or an Oscar. Right. One of the two. It was either an Academy Award. An Oscar or a Grammy. That was just... I think she'll get an Academy Award for this picture.
Her show's funny, though. It's called Kathy Griffin Life on the Deans List. Oh, the Deans List, huh? All of you. That sounds like a good show. Well, it got an Oscar, dude. Sky, do not laugh silently. Academy Award. Let that out. Let that out. I think she'll get an Academy Award for this show. Life on the Deans List. D-list. There it is. There it is. So, should we go on? Number two. Number two. Leave the door open. Every time. Every time Sean hears the word number two, he says leave the door open. Oh, my gosh. This guy leaves the door open. I think number two is going to upset a lot of people. Carlos Mencia. Yes. The rest of America, Charlie, this is your first day of class, Charlie. You go out there and do the best you can, Charlie. Best you can, and that's all we expect from you, Charlie. Asians, this is the first day of school. The most important day of your life. If you cut with one beat, I kill you. Joe Rogan is so happy right now. And whose list was it again, Skye? Co-Ed Magazine. According to Co-Ed Magazine, these are the top ten worst comedians. Number one. Are you ready for this? Oh, no. It's going to trip you out. Number one on the list of the most unfunniest comedians, Dane Cook. Oh, dude.
I just watched he release the new, I forget what it's called, some kind of hour stand-up at Madison Square Garden. It wasn't good? Dude, from his first album to this, it's kind of like, wow, man. I saw that as well. And it was almost like he was so hot for a while that he was doing all these different... specials and things. It was like he ran out of material. That special Rob's talking about I saw and it was jaw-droppingly not funny. It's weird because he's at Madison Square Garden and it's huge. The place is not a seat empty. People are just laughing and I think it's just their condition. When he does an expression they just laugh. I was watching the jokes. I didn't even crack a smile. I was kind of hoping that There was something new and fresh that he had, so I can... Because, man, I want to like him. Yeah. He seems like a good guy, you know, real nice every time we've talked to him. It's funny. His material, I mean, at least that early stuff, man, it was hysterical. The first couple albums are great, but this is like he's stretching. Yeah, he ran out of stuff. The clip is probably from his earlier days, right? I hope so. I say God bless you, by the way, when someone sneezes. I don't say bless you. I don't say that because I'm not the Lord.
I can't do that. I'm just a messenger for big guns upstairs. You know what I'm saying? And I never go with Gesundheit. I don't know who even says that. If I say Gesundheit, I feel like I'm honoring Hitler. Like, I should be like, Gesundheit! I've never heard that before. But I know this, man. His early material was... It was. It was brilliant. It was genius stuff, but I don't know. Definitely people's... perception with Dane Cook has changed. It's too bad. I think a lot of it is probably his movie stuff, too. His movies are terrible, but that doesn't mean his stand-up is bad. 570-1053. Did we miss somebody? Is there somebody on that list that you thought should have been on there? 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253 if you want to get a hold of us that way. The ride is still very tough in some spots as he kind of moves along here. We've got the south on the 5. Now quite a struggle down the North County shoreline out of La Costa all the way down at the Solana Beach. South 15, the bumper-to-bumper traffic continues up to 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Watch for leftover slowing in the westbound 52 coming up off the 125 at a Santee up into Tierra Santa. This all due to an earlier accident now clear at the 15 freeway. West 8 is really getting into it as well now. It starts slowing in the Cajon Valley towards East Main Street. And then it's struggles from Severn Drive all the way up to Lake Murray coming through La Mesa and the 5 Freeway, especially out of the South Bay. Quite heavy out of Chula Vista all the way up toward the bridge and then a heavy back up on the bridge in the Coronado. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Eddie went to sleep train and got himself all dialed in. What'd you get, Eddie? I got one of them Seelies. Nice. Great. I love it. It kind of forms to your body, which I didn't realize. You find a comfortable spot, you're good. Oh, dude. And Sleep Train is so cool that we bought a new bedroom set. Yeah. And the frame of the bedroom set is real high. Yeah. And so when you put the box spring and the mattress on there, it was gigantic. Yeah. So the way the furniture set is set up, that it doesn't need a box spring. Right. So we just had the mattress laid in there. I'm like, well, now what am I going to do with this box spring? Right. I called up Sleep Train and said, hey, listen.
I don't need the box spring anymore. What do I do with this thing? And they're like, oh, we'll come out, we'll pick it up, and we'll give you a credit for it. Oh, my. Dude, you guys are amazing. And they did? Yeah, they're going to pick it up tomorrow. Dude, that's awesome. Listen, there's no other place to go other than Sleep Train. You heard, Eddie, I sleep on one. So go into a Sleep Train. They'll beat anybody else's price by 5%. Sleep Train's your ticket to a better night's sleep. Now back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I really do. Think of the hurricanes as sort of celebrities. Eddie. I have a very strong sensitivity to smells. Sky. I don't like stinky cheese. Sean. Headshot boys are one of my favorite groups. Boston Rob. I was like a shaken puppy. That's a very common terminology. Do you guys don't use that? Maybe it's an East Coast thing. And Ashley. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. This. It's a Mikey show. It is 742. Brian Seacrest is not very happy after being totally dissed by Brandolina at the Golden Globes. I think this is pretty cool. The Aztecs named former NFL quarterback Brian Seip as their new quarterbacks coach. Well, there you go. That's cool. So we were teasing you earlier with this. We were telling you that Obama says that there's something he's going to do. His first week.
That he is in office. And, Skye, what is it? Yeah, well, two members of his transition team were talking about this yesterday. And they said definitely his first week, if not his first day in office, he will sign the order to shut down Guantanamo Bay. Wow. First week. First seven days. What are you going to do with the people that are there? That's what they have to figure out. Now, they say it will take some time. Well, I hope they figure it. They should figure it out before they say that's what they're going to do. Well, once you sign the order, you know, it's a process. It's not going to happen immediately. You know, it's not just because he signs it. It happens immediately. When he signs it, it starts the process. There's currently 250 people still being held there. So they'll have to determine which people can be released, what people still need to be held, where they need to go. I hope that isn't something that's more of a symbol than it is an actual reality, you know? I hope it isn't like, hey, listen, I started the process. Four years from now, Guantanamo's still running.
And it's like, hey, you know, this is a process. It takes a while. I doubt that. I mean, I don't specifically know. I mean, I'm sure there'll be a timeline attached to it, but it's not going to happen overnight. Yeah. Yeah. No, I didn't. I didn't think that they would like take every like get on the buses. We're leaving. Yeah. It's not going to happen overnight, but I don't see it taking four years. You know, I hope not. But it definitely is. I mean, it's a symbolic move. You know, it's symbolic to the to the rest of the world saying that, you know, this administration doesn't stand for what went on there and we're going to shut it down. Yeah, I don't think what went on there was that great either. But I do think that we need to imprison terrorists. You know what I mean? Right now, Guantanamo Bay is the place where we house them. I guess we're going to move them. We're going to move them somewhere else. I mean, listen, if it were me and I were the president, if I were Barack, I would say I'm not going to stand for any needless mistreating or torture of prisoners. I don't know that I'd want to spend money moving him somewhere else. We already have a place where we keep him. We're not going to behave in this way. This isn't what I believe in. But, hey, listen, he wants to spend some dough and move him somewhere else. Okay, we move him to a different place. We take him from... You take him from over here. We put him over here. Okay. We say, stop doing stuff to him. Michael Corleone did this. And Michael Corleone did that. So I said... Okay, I'm fine.
Shut it down. Robin Williams and Jay Leno need to be on that list, Mikey. Oh, wow. Yes. I agree with that. That's P1 Ham Wow. Mikey, what about Skye for her credit union act? That's P1 Rochester. Wow. Wasn't meant to be funny. Hey, B-Rob, if you think you're so funny, then why don't you try stand-up? That's P1 hilarious. I want to. What about that? For real, I want to. I want to try stand-up. Dude, if Boy Blunder can do it, you can do it. Seriously. Oh, that's a shot at Boy Blunder. I'm sure he's hysterical. Well, I'm saying, I'm not saying that he's bad. I'm saying that if he has the guts to get up there and do it, you can do it. I had no idea Boy Blunder was even doing that. I know. Yeah, Boy Blunder. Dude, Rob would smoke him. Remember when Blender was a pro poker player? He made a lot of money. He was good at it. Who knows? With his stand-up, he could be the next...
What's a big name out here? Louie Anderson. Louie Anderson. Why Louie Anderson? He's a big comedian. He's a big comedian. He's a big comedian. Get that confused look. You know what you're doing, you guys. Eddie, he's not a comedian. He's a singer. Job of the Hut. That's not called Rob. Hey, that's my friend. Our friend you're talking about, you jerk. The Fiji Blimp, come on. Hey, an inanimate object. No. Blimp's pretty funny. So, yeah, on our afternoon show, we got BC and Clint, okay? And their producer is Boy Blunder. He used to be an associate producer on The Mikey Show. Mm-hmm. But he put the F word on the air a couple of times. Too many. And so, you know, he got fired from the Mikey show. He did it on accident. But it doesn't matter, you know, we could have gotten in trouble. So Sean, our program director, she had to let him go. And then she hired him back to produce the afternoon show. As far as we know, he has not put any dirty words on the air accidentally on the afternoon show. And he has started a, you know, comic business. Wow. He's in business. Good for him. He's done a couple of open mics. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's doing an open mic. I mean, I haven't heard it. Nobody's really heard it. I have not. But it should be interesting. I have not. And who knows? He could be good. But I say put your money where your mouth is there, big guy. Dude. I'm talking to you, Rob. I'm talking to you, Rob, not Blunder. Why don't you call him big? You know what I'm saying? Little guy. Dude, put your money where your mouth is, big little guy. Yeah, that's better. Now I get it. Smell a bit. Dude. I'd love to try it out. I mean, I've always. had ideas about what I would turn into my stand-up material, but I can't make it that wow factor. Dude, we'll stick you in the performance studio with Blunder and have you guys... That's a safe place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do we have a live audience? We have to have a live audience. Yes. And let them vote on who's the best comedian. Robert Blunder. We need an emcee. Who emcee it? I could, but I don't want to.
Oh, I want to watch. Have Mal do it. Mal. Mal's a comedian. That's right. He'll do it. Let's get Mal to do it. Oh, that would be awesome. Would he do it? Yeah. You think he would? Of course. He's awesome. Yeah. Our friend Mal works here at the radio station. He's a comedian, too. Dude, that would be so great. Oh, that would be so fun. And we'll let P1s be a part of the audience. Can we get a brick wall behind them? Yes. A fake brick wall. Oh, dude, that would be great. That's hysterical. We'll put, like, shuckles or something, you know? Like, write the name of the club on the brick. Ha-has. Smackies. Smackies. I love this. That's great. Rob, are you willing to? Yeah, dude. That means you've got to work out some material. I know. Oh, no. How long do they have to do? Like, five minutes? I don't know. Is that enough? That's a good set. Can you do five minutes of material? Yeah, I'll put something together. Rob, you would smoke him. I know, but Blunder's done like three or four open mic things. There's only one way I would do this, for real. I'm being totally serious, and that is that we don't do this like...
oh, Blunder's not funny, or oh, Rob's not funny. Like, it has to be real, and we just really react to it. They're funny, they're funny. If they're funny, they're funny, and if they're not, they're not. But we have you guys, you know, because, I mean, Blunder's seriously pursuing it. And I want to, so this could be my first. It's your springboard, man. Go. Finally, I can get my name out there. Finally, I can get my name out there. You're going to be on the Mikey show. You're on the Mikey show every day. The name's on your neck, bro. When do you want to do it? Do it Friday. Can we do it that quick? Give me a couple days. You can be ready by Friday. By Friday? Yeah, today's Tuesday. We can do this Friday morning? Yeah, for sure. Oh, my God. Phones are blowing up. 570-1053. Oh, I'm so excited. This is going to be awesome. I bet that sounds like fun. 570-1053. Is there like a two-drink minimum or whatever? Yes. There has to be. Yeah, Rob and Blunder each have to have two drinks minimum before getting out there. Sorry, I'm drunk. 570-1053. Call us and tell us what you think of the idea.
I love it. I love it. I am so nervous. That's an exclusive ticket to win, by the way. 570-1053. What do you think? I'm going to freak out and freeze up. I thought you were funnier than Jimmy Fallon. I could just be quiet and I'm funnier than Jimmy Fallon. I heard you have rocks that are funny. Mikey Show. You heard about that? How many people get to go in there? I don't know. I mean, we could probably put a few, man. I mean, we could put a lot of chairs in our performance studio. We could probably get a few in there, man. This is P1 Avocado. I want to get in there, bro. Dude, that sounds... You know what? Let's give you right now. We'll give you tickets. We'll give you tickets right now. I mean, we'll talk about it. We'll give away at least 10 pair. Because, I mean, I would like it to be a lot of people so that we have a ton of laughter in there. Do we want to give out pairs or individual seats? Why? Just so that we can get a bunch of variety of people in there. Yeah. You know, I mean, and it's hard in the morning to bring somebody. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like that. I like that. It's a good idea. Yeah, dude. Can we bring, like, vegetables in case they're really bad? No. I do not throw stuff at them. And listen, man. Hey, P1 Avocado. Honestly?
I seriously, I got to impress this upon people. The idea of it is we want it to be funny. I don't want it to be something where people are like. Where it's just a joke. Yeah, where it's like people are. Trying not to laugh. I don't want to turn it into that. We're doing this like it's a real kind of last comic standing, right? Yeah, if it's funny, you laugh. I don't want to do it if it's just like a joke to everyone. You're a hothead. Yeah, this is not part of your act, I would think. This is not. We'll be real, we'll be real. All right, all right. Hey, hang on and we'll get your info and we'll let you in. It's like Louis Black over here. Yeah, exactly. The angry comic. Why are you funny? I don't know. I don't know. I'm trying to, Ma. P1 Suburban Cowboy. Hey, Mikey. What's happening? What's up, dude? Not much. Not much. I thought that was a great idea. I think it would be hilarious. I'd love to be in the audience for that. All right. We'll set you up. We'll set you up. We've got to get a guest list working. Got to get a guest list. Hang on. I'm going to put you on hold. You've got the guest list. I'm going to put you on hold. Let's see. P1 Frisky. Wait a minute. No. Who is this? Hello?
Not a P1. P1 Frisky Redbone. Hey, it's P1 Frisky Redbone. How are you guys doing this morning? I'm good. How are you? Fantastic. What do you think of this? I think that that is the most amazing thing I've ever heard. I listen to you guys every single morning, and I laugh my butt off every morning. D-Rob is hilarious. Do you want to come in? Oh, thank you. Absolutely. Can you come in Friday morning? I will make a way to come in Friday morning. Nice. Dude. B-Rob and Blunder going up against each other in a comedy contest. I guess we should call Blunder. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. What if he says no? He can't when you say no. He won't say no. He can't. That's another opportunity. Like, if he really wants to do this for his career, you take every opportunity you can. He'll do it. My heart just sank thinking to myself, what if he says no? He'll do it. Come on. He's a good kid. Not good for his career. P1-300. 300, you there? We lost them. Wait a minute. 300? Yeah, I'm here. There you are. Go ahead. What's up, man? This is going to be awesome. Yeah, dude. It's going to be great. It's going to be funny. I mean, these two going up. I've never seen this done with anybody that I know. And so it's going to be Rob and Boy Blunder in a stand-up off. Awesome. I got to see that. I don't know, guys.
What's the problem? I'm starting to break. Look at it. Nerves. Nerves. You got it, Rob. Come on, Rob. 300, you want to come watch? Yeah, that'd be awesome. Hang on. I don't want to lose the blunder. It's fine. What if you do? Hey, listen. If you do, you work on your material. And not only that, you have to understand that he's been doing this a little bit. He's been doing this. He's done a few open mics. So if you were to lose to him, don't worry about it. And I'm the most unfunny person. Hey, that's not cool. That's a direct insult. No, with all due respect. Don't say that about yourself, David. Eddie, how will, should we bring in the decibel meter? How will we judge it? I mean, I don't know. I can't imagine it being that. Maybe we do like. We're going to have to think about this. A private vote? You know, you hand out a... A private vote. A private vote. You mean secret ballot? That's it. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. Rock.

Where's your confidence from? I don't know. Mikey, if B-Rob pulls this off, he'll be the first funny guy out of Boston. I look forward to this. That's fantastic. Nick can follow Stephen Wright. Come on. Mark Wahlberg. He's not funny. Very serious. Mikey, if you guys really want to make people laugh, let Sky get up there and talk about the credit union. That's P1 Davis. Hey.
I'm sure. It was a mistake that a lot of people have made. Can we not talk about it anymore? What are you talking about? Shut up, Sean. She got a credit union in San Jose, and she came here to San Diego four years ago. Yesterday needed to withdraw a large sum of money, and she went into a credit union here in San Diego and thought that all credit unions were the same, and you could just go in there, give me your account, and they'd give you money. Wow. And the lady explained to her, Ashley, now you can't silent laugh over there. If you're going to laugh, Mama, let it out, all right? Don't give me that silent laugh. Oh, how dare you? That's even worse. I don't know any of this, Mike. I probably would have made the same mistake. How dare you? Duh. So, listen. Does that make you feel better? Listen, it could have happened to anybody. It could. That's still funny. Hey. So Mike, wasn't we going to do something here? Yeah, the view, remember? He said something about the view. Please. Yes, we will. Thank you. I said thank you. She just took a tone. Don't take your anger out on me. You've been picking on me all morning. Picking on you? Are you joking?
No way. She's had it with you. I can tell. I've done nothing. Not me. You better not hate me. She's done with the challenge. I'm loving your butt, man. I'm loving your butt, man. Save that one. Okay, wait. Save that one. I would like to be Teacrest. Fine, whatever. I'm loving your butt, man. Okay. So, the comedy showdown. Friday. Boston Rob takes on Boy Blunder. Oh, man. Wish he would wake up so we could ask him if he'll do it. You're freaking me out when you say that, dude. I'll make him do it. Don't worry. I have this visual of Eddie calling me later today, laughing hysterically, going, he really won't do it. Rob, you got to take on Craig Gass. Sorry. Oh, man. That's crazy. That's right. You got to get deeper.
That's crazy. A little better. We'll work on it later. Ann Coulter. My favorite. Really, there is no difference in my mind between Ann Coulter and Al Franken. They're the same type of person. He's not hateful. Yes, he is. Yes. Really? Yeah. He wrote a book called Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Stupid Idiot. Yeah, those are just facts. See what I mean? See what I mean? How dare you? But what she does, they do the same thing. Al Franken does his thing. Ann Coulter does her thing. Al Franken's very left and Ann Coulter's very right. Now, you've got to realize, That this TV show, The View, is all, except for one of them, they're all Libby's. They're all a bunch of liberals. And so. And lunatics. Yes. But they're moderate liberals, I would say. Oh, Sean. Sean. How dare you. How dare you. Oh, man. How dare you. You are close to catching on fire. They are so liberal. Beyond.
And so you have the two coming together on the TV show. This is going to be bad. This is going to be really, really bad. Cut 17. Back to what you were attacking before when I wasn't here. I was trying to read people's minds, I believe someone said, or that I've had some personal experience with them. To the contrary, as I cite in the book, I am talking about things they have done and said. Barack Obama writes his first book. Pause. Contrary has 19 syllables. To the contrary. Doesn't help your point. I'm sad or that I've had some personal experience with him to the contrary. Talking about things they have done and said. Barack Obama writes his first book. I think it was his first book, his autobiography. Dreams from my father. He identifies with the father who abandoned him. I read the book.
Wait, you guys attack me for it and I can't respond. Halle Berry accepts the Academy Award. Okay, just let me answer. We are not attacking you. You wrote something provocative. Can I just read a section aloud? Yes, I read it like you're reading Mein Kampf again. I don't think you did that. I think you did. Let me do this. That's because I'd like to discuss something current. Wow! Well, that wasn't awkward. How come they all speak at the same time? How come nobody tells them not to do that? Not one producer. Nobody says, guys, we can't understand you when you're all yapping at the same time. Well, plus, you guys, I just got to tell you, ladies, it's not pleasant to the ear. Oh, it's awful. It's really hard on the ear.
And I don't know, ladies, if you have four other women talking at the same time if it's unpleasant to the ear. I'm just saying that with you particular four women speaking at the same time, it's very unpleasant to the ear. You know what I mean? I don't even know what they're arguing about. I really don't. I don't either. Yeah, I know because I read about it. Basically, Ann Coulter in her new book talks about how the downfall of our society is single motherhood. And children being raised just by their mothers become drug addicts. They fill our prisons, blah, blah, blah. And she blames Hollywood and she blames the left for what she considers encouraging single motherhood, praising single mothers for all they do, which she says is encouraging the epidemic, which is ruining America. The only thing that I've heard and I've heard about this, the only thing that I don't particularly care for. is the attack on the mothers. Yeah. See, I don't think it's, I don't, I mean, it takes two to tango on everything, but it should be an attack on divorce. It should be an attack on divorce. And it turns into an attack on single mothers. I mean, cause it could be, I mean, you have to ask yourself, well, why are they single moms? Yeah. I mean, they're single moms cause they got a divorce. And in some cases they're single moms because.
The dad's just up and left. It's no fault of their own, really. And that's in some cases. Some cases, yes. And so, I don't know. I could be missing the point. I could be missing the point with Ann Coulter. Yeah, like the statistics she was throwing out when she was on the Today Show. Oh, like 70% of prisoners come from single mothers. Well, see, that same statement could be true. They could say... 70% of prisoners come from a broken home. Right. Exactly. Exactly. That's the same. Isn't that what a broken home means? I don't know. Am I messed up on this one? No, no. A broken home means that the mom and dad are not together. Right, right. And I think that that is probably correct. 70% of prisoners come from a broken home. It's odd, the singling out of the women. And the attack on... on Hollywood and politicians for wanting to support the single mother. You know, like, the single mother, obviously that's not her dream scenario, but she's going to do the best she can and give it her all, and I think that should be applauded because the dude took off, Ann Coulter. Like, why aren't you attacking the dude that took off who's doing nothing? You know why it gets so tricky? It's brutal. I think it gets tricky because if a single mother is a single mother because
a guy died or took off on her, man, I feel bad for that woman and I'd like her to get some help. If she's a single mother because she got a divorce, that's the consequence of divorce. Things have consequences, and that's a consequence of divorce. But if she's a single mother due to divorce, then there should be a single father on the other side of that equation. She shouldn't take 100% of responsibility. She should be a 50% parent. 100%. You know what I'm saying? Absolutely. But I don't think that if he's... Okay, let's say that he is the guy in the relationship is a total freeloader. Is that the right word? Freeloader, he's a freeloader. And he's not paying his side of it, right? His child support? His child support. Deadbeat dad. He's a deadbeat dad. If he's a deadbeat dad, you are now, either way, it's a consequence of the relationship. It's a consequence of the relationship. I have, in my time, I have been with women I had no business being with. I just shouldn't have been with them. And when bad stuff happened,
I can look back on it and see my choices in it. Where was my part? Who did I select? What did I think I was going to get? And in a lot of these cases with these guys, what did you think you were going to get? What did you think you were going to get? So are you saying that they don't deserve support? Yes. I'm saying that that is not a part. Because they made a bad decision, they then don't deserve support. When they realize they had made a bad decision and are trying to turn it around and make it better, they don't deserve support. They should. That's fantastic. They should turn it around and make it better. And they shouldn't be applauded for turning around and making it better? I think that's great that they're turning around and making it better. Do I believe that we should take government funds for their bad decision and give it? No, I don't. Well, no one's getting government funds unless we're talking about welfare. Like, getting government funds has nothing to do with being a single parent. I think that this whole argument, though, was like... Their special treatment or didn't you say something like that? No, it's about a father not being in the household and the consequences that has on the child. And then that child ends up milking off the system by being in prison and blah, blah, blah. So I don't know why the mom's being brought into this at all. Well, you get into a whole other tricky thing when you go, what about the kid? Yeah. The kid asked for it? Did the kid ask for it? Did the kid make any of these choices? Because the kid didn't, right? No, of course not. The kid didn't make any of the choices. It gets tricky, man.
It gets tricky, but listen, you know me, man. I'm one of these guys that I have to do it with myself, man. I got to be accountable to myself and I don't like it all the time. I don't like being accountable to myself all the time because the truth is I make some stupid choices sometimes. But I try my best, you know, I try my best to try to make the good ones. But when we don't, you know. Yeah, but I think you make a great point. She shouldn't be singling out single mother. She should be talking about broken homes. Yeah. I don't understand. It's creepy the way she's doing that. Well, is her whole point, because I don't even get what her point is. I mean, we've been talking about this forever, and I don't know that. She's got a lot of stats on it. What Ann Coulter's point is. But if it's singling out single mothers, then I'm confused about the whole divorce thing. Because, you know, when you're divorced, it doesn't mean the dad is not around. You know, not necessarily. There's some cases that happens. Right. But, I mean.
She's talking about Hollywood and the left glamorizing single mothers because we praise them and we talk about how they do good. And, oh, and we don't talk about like normal family. Like if a normal family does something good, oh, whatever. But if a single mom, you know, sends her child to school and works two jobs, hooray for her. And like that's bad of us for doing that because this is what's turning our society into a horrible place, according to her. Okay, let's ask the question this way. Okay. Let's say Hollywood says, yay, you go for being a single mom. Okay. Are we saying that to be a single mom across the board is just something that should be applauded? For me, I look at the situations. If she doesn't have a choice in the matter and a guy took off and he's not paying child support and she has to work two jobs, that is something to be applauded. She's trying to raise her family and raise her child. That's an amazing thing. I have no problems with applauding somebody that does that. Let's say she was married and the guy dies.
I mean, there are a lot of single moms because their husbands have died in war or something like that. Of course that should be applauded. If somebody gets a divorce and they're a single mom, they're facing consequence of a divorce. I have a question about that one. Go ahead. Because I'm a product of divorce. I'm one of those broken home statistic kids. And my parents got a divorce, but it was an unhealthy relationship and it was a bad influence for me. And it was a bad influence for her. It was a bad situation. But she got a divorce. Does that mean that she should have to deal with the consequences of that bad action of my father that he was putting that influence upon us? Your father should have been paying child support. Was he paying child support? No. He wasn't doing any child support? See, that's the bigger issue to me. That's in this Ann Coulter thing. The attack is where are these dads? And I've said that a million times. Where are the dads? Where are the dads in it? That's a bigger argument to me than anything that you would ever say about single moms. And I wish Ann Coulter was saying that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But she's not saying that. It's a weird take. I don't really get her take. Same thing. I don't understand the take. And in terms of your mom, Zeth, your mom is a great example of what Sky was saying. Your mom did the right thing. She started to do the right thing.
And so I have to disagree with you, Mikey, about how there's consequences. Sometimes people are young, they get married young, and then it turns out that the husband ends up being abusive. That's a consequence of getting married young and making that poor choice. Yeah, but I mean, it's like the kid running out in the street and getting hit by the car. Yeah, that's a consequence, but we shouldn't stand over you and say, oh, you're deserving to suffer because you ran in the street. There's a 16-year-old in the news today that's being sentenced to life. prison because he shot a cop that's a consequence of what he did yeah but you can't compare leaving an abusive relationship that you got into when you're young to shooting a cop you can't make that comparison i'm not i'm not saying people should leave if they're being abused a hundred and fifty percent and no one should make them feel like they need to suffer extra consequences because i didn't say anything about extra i said consequences and there are consequences to choosing that guy now if you tell me that women get into these relationships with these guys That they just never knew that there was that side of them. I don't believe you. Because I know. But they're young. They're stupid. I mean, they're young and stupid. Like, we were never young and stupid. We are, Skye. But guess what? We have to suffer consequences for our young stupidity. Yeah, young and stupid. You're still going to suffer for that. You don't get a free pass because I didn't. I didn't get a free pass for my young stupidity. Okay, maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying. But to me, I'm interpreting what you're saying as these single moms, like.
aren't as good as the other single moms whose husbands died. Like they're not as worthy. When you say they're not as good, listen. No, that's what I'm saying. I'm interpreting that. So maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying. I'll be really, really clear. Okay. I'll be really, really clear. If we're saying that there is a segment of society that is applauding women for being single mothers, just like Eddie said, I got to look at that and go, well, what are we talking about here in terms of single moms? What are we talking about? Are we talking about single moms because things weren't going very well and they decided to get a divorce? Like they didn't like it. You know, maybe they just didn't like it. There wasn't any abuse. They just didn't like the marriage. They weren't in love anymore. They felt like they weren't in love anymore. So they got a divorce. It's a consequence of that. So you would not applaud that mother, even if she is working two jobs. I would applaud her for doing the, I mean, she's made a mistake. The mistake is saying. This isn't going very well, so I'm going to get a divorce. There's the mistake, okay? I don't feel like I'm in love with him anymore. I'm getting a divorce. In my mind, that's a mistake. Now, after you make a mistake, what can you do next? What can you do next and make it better? Get two jobs. And you'd applaud that. I would applaud anybody making a better decision for themselves. Okay, so you're plotting that single mom. But let me be clear. I want to really be clear about it.
Do I think that it's something that we should be making a production about? No, I don't. No more than me or anybody making a mistake and then doing what you should do. It's the right thing. Remember Chris Rock had the deal where he talks about deadbeat dads. And he says, you know that phrase, I take care of my kids. He goes, what do you want, a cookie? You're supposed to take care of your kids. That's funny. And that's the point. It's very true. Listen, you do something if you make a mistake. All you can ask is that people, that you do your thing for it. You don't have to be applauded for it. Just do your thing. You do the right thing. Just like Chris Rock says, dad beat dad. Hey, man, I take care of my kids. I pay for that. You're supposed to. What, do you want a cookie? That's what you're supposed to do. That's my, I don't know. I mean, the phone line's blowing up. 570-1053.
But my, you know, listen, I don't, in the same camp as Eddie, I don't get the take. And Sky, I don't get the take. Yeah, I mean, you know, I totally understand what you're saying. And, you know, there's consequences in every decision you make. And I wouldn't necessarily say having kids, you have consequences, but you have responsibilities. Yeah. And that falls on both sides. Yeah. Yeah. Men and women. So there's no reason to single out single moms or single dads or anybody. You have responsibility together when you make a child. This is what it unfortunately what it reeks of for Ann Coulter is it almost seems like I want to find something here that will be sensational and be like I hear it and I go. Yeah, I mean, I guess I can kind of see. And Coulter's in the news again. You know what I mean? It's like, get out of here. I guess I can kind of see where you're going, but it's. It's kind of an unnecessary take. That's it. It's an unnecessary take. It's an unnecessary take. It's not necessary. If you're able to handle your responsibilities alone, together, whatever, you know, you should be doing that. And if it's.
If it's harder as a single mom, I do applaud that. I say, you know what? Hey, good for you that you're able to do it. And if you have to work extra jobs and stuff like that, hey, more power to you. I do that for couples that have to work extra jobs and stuff like that to take care of your kids. Hey, man, more power to you. Everybody that takes care of your kids, you should be taking care of your kids. That's the deal. P1 Diet Cokehead. Good morning. Good morning. Mikey, I have to disagree with you on one of the things that you said. Aye. You had said that if a woman is in a relationship and she doesn't see that this guy was a jerk while they're in the relationship, you don't believe that? I'm totally paraphrasing because this is very personal to me. Sure. My sister and her ex-husband, they've known each other since they were eight years old. They were a couple since they were 15. They got married at 25. We were raised in the Catholic Church, FYI. And he, when my nephew was two years old, her ex-husband took his FBI agent test and failed, which led to a raging midlife crisis. He then did a complete turnaround, turned into the biggest psycho, the biggest loser.
He stole money from my sister. He forged her name on retirement documents, stole money from his son. And finally, my sister had enough and kicked him out because it was not good for her son to see his dad like that. You know, he would take off for days at a time and not come home. And my sister did everything she could to make that relationship work. But you get to a point where when it starts to hurt your kids, you got to get out. And she didn't see this coming. None of us did. Like I said, we've known him since they were eight years old. And my dad, trust me, my dad never would have let him marry her if he would have known that was what he was going to turn into. So my nephew is now 14, and it's been four years since he's heard from his dad. And his dad has never paid child support. I could tell you stories about this guy that would, I know how you are about your son. It would infuriate you. Before I say anything else, let me tell you from the bottom of my heart that I'm sorry. Thank you. And because I can tell just from the sound of your voice that it hurt your feelings. It did. And you know what? While I was going through that, I was very passionate and inconsiderate. I was inconsiderate. I should have considered that before I said it. I appreciate that. Yeah. You know, my nephew is.
He's the greatest kid alive. His goal, he's sweet, he's caring. My sister has done a phenomenal job. When she kicked her ex-husband out, she went back to graduate school to get her master's in education so she could become a teacher. She put her graduate school on hold for her ex-husband so he could do his FBI dream. And then, you know, she had to start all over again pretty much. Now, I got to tell you, Diet Cokehead. I will and I'm just I'm as sincerely as what I as the apology that I gave you. I'm going to I'm going to give you my opinion. Sure. And it's it's just as sincere. Honestly, I do find it hard to believe that somebody that is capable of doing all the things that you described that he did didn't have something in his personality.
before failing an FBI test. I can totally understand why you feel that way. And trust me, we have had numerous conversations of what the hell happened to him. Where did he go? He's not the person that he was all growing up. We lived across the street from them. And, you know, we went to the same church. His parents and my parents were great friends. It was just even his dad, before his dad passed away, said to my sister, I don't know what happened to my son. I don't know where he went. I mean, there's more details. Do you think that there was maybe drugs involved? At this point, after the last little tidbit we heard at Christmas time, yeah, that's what we think. I think that he just couldn't handle the pressure of having a family, and he was laying all his cards on becoming an agent because his dad was an agent. Two of his older brothers were agents. And he put a lot of pressure on himself. And, you know, he had my sister who was working two jobs while he was in school to get his degree before he took his test. So I think that had a lot to do with it. But then I also think there was a time where he could have turned that around and he opted not to. And the decisions that he's made from that point on have affected my nephew. Fortunately, my sister is an amazing mom. And like I said, my nephew is a great kid.
He's centered. He's all about sports. He's all about music. His dream is to go to San Diego State and play baseball for Tony Gwynn. Hey, listen. I want to tell you, I think that your sister? Yeah. I think your sister made a wise choice. And I want to really be clear about this. I've never told anybody this before. But I've had a couple of couples. come to me, um, for, uh, counsel. I don't, I don't find that surprising because, you know, I've been going through a lot of stuff. Well, let me tell you, let me tell you though, I was getting somewhere with that. Um, and I want to make something really, really clear that I said that I've said to, to, uh, to them before abuse is never okay. Abuse is never, ever okay. And, uh, I, I feel real strongly about that. Abuse is never okay. And what you were sharing with me sounded abusive. And abuse is never okay. And in that situation, it sounds like your sister made a wise choice. I would certainly hope, and it sounds like probably she did, that there were attempts made to reach this person. Tons. Tons.
By everybody. Not just her. You know, he was in therapy for a while. His parents, my parents. They ever determine anything? Like what his problem was? Well, he supposedly had a car accident. And then he had amnesia. Wink, wink. And I think it was true. He did have amnesia for a little bit. And then I think he realized that he could use that as an excuse to not be an adult. And so he milked it for all he could. And, you know, I'm very, very protective of my family, especially my nephew. So I'm probably the only one who didn't try to have a touchy-feely conversation with him. In fact, I believe I said, if you make my nephew cry one more time, I'm going to run you over with my car. Oh, wow. Pretty serious. Guess you weren't messing around. That's my family, and I see what his actions have done. Like, I don't worry about my sister because she's a grown-up, and she can take care of herself. My nephew was an innocent little baby. He was two when all this happened. I am 100% down with you. I'm 100% down with you. And listen, I'm sorry again. I hope we can be friends again, and I hope you forgive me. Dude, come on.

I'm such a celebrity. Oh, look at the name dropper that gets to go to all the big parties. She's got a Tebow, too. Oh, wow. How was that? Who did you see there? Oh, is it glamorous? The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Back at the Mikey Show. It is 8.58. Yesterday, Escondido police impounded 28 cars and made two arrests within just two hours at a checkpoint. Breaking news. The Atlanta Braves and pitcher Derek Lowe have reached a preliminary agreement on a four-year, $60 million contract. Whoa. Some of the texts that we're getting, Mikey, consequences are not punishments. They are the results of actions. That's P1 Hooligan. I agree. I agree with that 100%. I don't believe anybody should be.
punished. I just believe that there are consequences to actions. I agree with that 100%. Mikey, I think Ann Coulter's issue is not divorced single moms. It's more of the single moms who were never married. That's P1 astute. If that's the case, yeah, that's still with my point. I think that's a consequence. Mikey, I read the book. That chapter is solely talking about Hollywood's punishing single mothers like Cuddy on House as more noble. Or pushing single mothers like Cuddy on House as more noble. That's P1SJTrace. I don't know who Cuddy is. Who's Cuddy? Does anybody watch House? I don't watch House, but I do know who Cuddy is. Cuddy is like House's boss, and she adopted a baby. But she's a single woman who adopted a child. She's a single mother. Satan. Yes. Obviously. Obviously. Let's talk to Brian Malarkey, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, yes. Let's send him in here. He doesn't have on his calling card. No, it's called out. Yeah. What do they call it, Eddie? What is that? A pork pie? Yes. What do you call your hat? Pork pie hat. What is that called? He's going to say it as he walks out of the room. He does too know what it's called. It's not a fedora, is it? No, no, no. No, but it's kind of like that.
No, Brian, what is the name of that, your signature hat that you usually, what do they call those? A fedora. It is a fedora. It is a fedora. It's colder, though, so he's got on a beanie today. Yes. This is Brian Malarkey. Take care of your hand by wearing your helmet. Brian was on Top Chef, and many believe should have won Top Chef. Oh, controversy. That's right. Yeah, San Diego, San Diego's rooting for us. That's right. Aw. Isn't there somebody on Top Chef right now from San Diego? Or is there not? He was already kicked off, wasn't he? Yeah, he was. He didn't make it too far. Where does he cook at? He's at Confidential. Where is that? Downtown? Yeah, it's kind of a club. It's a secret. I can't tell you. I got it. That's beautiful. So, Brian, guess why Brian's here? Why? Because this week is going to be a big week. Is it this week? When is it? We got all kinds of stuff going on. We have Restaurant Week going on right now. Restaurant Week started. That's huge. So this is it. We're in it now? We're in it now. It started Sunday at the Ocean Air. We're going for 10 days rather than one week. And what's really fun is some of the restaurants have aligned themselves with the Girl Scouts this year. Really? Kind of as a charitable thing that we're going to be buying the Girl Scouts cookies and incorporating them into our dishes. So the criteria was...
The criteria was you just had to use one of the Girl Scout cookies and either put it in one of your savory or sweet dishes. Quick fire, go. Quick fire, go. But what we decided to do with the Ocean Air, because, again, we like to go over the top, is we took all eight varieties of their cookies and incorporated them to eight different desserts. So if you come down, you'll have a choice of all of the different desserts. And because I couldn't bring the ice cream and the mousse and the chocolates and everything, I brought you a gift bag. A big bag of cookies. That's that. That's fantastic. The Samoas are the only ones missing, and I do believe Ashley has those over there. You jerk. He's going to call me out and get me in trouble. That's a bunch of malarkey. That's some malarkey right there. What do you make with the Samoas? Because those are my favorite. What do you make? And what is a Samoa? Samoa is the coconut and chocolate one. It is the best. Sky is so offended. Sky just gave me a look like, what planet are you from? I'm so disappointed. I'm like, let me see. No, those are your shortbreads. Oh, yes, this is my favorite. Are those really? Shortbread's my favorite.
Everybody can align with their certain Girl Scout cookie. So what do you make with the Samoas? Well, for those Bravo watchers, I have a really kind of an embarrassing thing. I did a Diet Dr. Pepper commercial, and I made Mama Malarkey macaroons. Dude, I saw that. Yeah, it's hilarious. I thought you were doing like cut-ins and stuff, and I'm like, what is he making? Last week on Top Chef, Brian and the winner of last season, Stephanie, were on. And they were like, it was in a commercial break and Brian like made this goofy cookie thing. And I'm like, that's what we make with the Samoas. I'm like, what is he doing? And I thought you were doing like cut-ins for, you know, top chef. What was he making? What did you do? It was a quick fire challenge by Diet Dr. Pepper. And we had to make something tasty with Diet Dr. Pepper. So I made like a ginger and Diet Dr. Pepper syrup with mom malarkey macaroons. And so that's kind of what we're doing down at the restaurant this week. Dude, that is so crazy to me. Right? It's so crazy to me how, you know, somebody like Brian, they're able to think on their feet. I know it, Mike. And, like, come up with crazy stuff like that. Every week on that show. Awesome. I don't know how they come up with their ideas. How do you do that? I know that's like asking Mariah Carey, well, how do you sing? You know, like, but how do you do that? I think because we've just, we've worked with all the different flavor profiles and we've been, I mean.
It's just kind of certain things work together, and it's just a matter of getting those things in the right kind of segment. Like you've cooked with soda before? Oh, yeah. Really? Oh, dude, I was doing a foie gras and a Red Bull dish for a little while. Red Bull? What a trip. Hey, by the way, a lot of people cook barbecue and stuff with Coca-Cola. I've heard that. If you've never eaten at the Ocean Air, It's the Ocean Air Seafood Room. It's the best. You're a clown if you haven't eaten. Dude, it's a special occasion. If it's a special occasion, Ocean Air is the best. First of all, it's the best seafood in town. There is no other place that comes close. What did you yell at? That rock lobster shrimp that he loves. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. What's the thing that has the word Diablo in it? The Diablo squid. Dude, I had never had it until one time we came there and you brought it over to the table. Is crazy good, man. That's crazy good. It's so hard because the appetizer stuff is so good. And you're trying to save it because you go, I want to get to dinner. And you're just loving the way stuff tastes. And he came up with it. Brian just thinks of it in his head. And he comes up with the stuff. It's crazy.
Well, we have to have you explain what Restaurant Week is. Right now is the time. Like I just said, special occasion, but right now is the time no matter who you are. For sure. This is the time to really kind of stimulate the economy and the restaurant industry around town. There's 100-plus restaurants taking part in the restaurant week, and it's broken down into three categories. Some restaurants are charging $20 for a three-course meal. Some restaurants are $30, and some restaurants are $40. So you can go to the Marine Room or Bertram's at Mr. A's or the Ocean Air, some of the real high-end restaurants, and eat three courses for $40. Or there's some like the Mexican restaurants and stuff in Old Town that have a little bit lower. Price point on their menu. You can go and have three courses for $20. But what it is is it encourages people to go out and visit your neighborhood restaurants. Because even in the down economy, restaurants are the lifeblood of your city, of your culture, of your neighborhood. Because that's where people get together and they meet and they identify with.
different neighborhoods of what restaurants there. So it's a great opportunity to go visit some of your old favorite restaurants or go see some of the new restaurants, take a chance, you know, and go out and kind of stimulate the economy, have some fun. And part of the deal is, is that a lot of these, you know, like the high-end restaurants, you can end up, if you go, you can end up spending a lot of money. But during restaurant week, you're going to pay this fixed amount and you're getting the same killer food. The appetizer, the entree, the dessert. It's incredible. It's awesome. What about getting in there? Is it tough during restaurant week because of how many people are wanting to go? Ideally, yeah. The restaurant, I mean, at the Oceania, we're fortunate. We're very, very busy because a lot of people take the opportunity to come down. I'm not encouraging you to come to the Oceania. I mean, I would love you to. But go check out some of the other restaurants. If we're full, go find somebody else that's going on. But right now, we do have availability early and late. And it's just energy in the restaurant. It feels great. It's a lot of fun. I'm hungry. It's a great place. Oh, yeah. I encourage my staff to go eat out some of these other restaurants because, you know, you learn from other chefs, other waiters, another. Do they have a website where you can see all the places on the. . . I think it is just like restaurantweek.com. Restaurant Week. San Diego Restaurant Week. Awesome.
Google it. Yeah, yeah. Google it. You'll find it. Restaurant week. Doesn't Pamplemousse do it too? Pamplemousse is on it. Pamplemousse is on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's on it. Now, okay. So, if you go to the Ocean Air, this is just my recommendation. Oh, here we go. Here we go. Every single thing on their menu is a party in your mouth. That's very true. But there's this one thing that they do that I think is special and it's better than any place you'll ever have it, ever. And if you are a fan of this, have it there. Although I'm going to tell you, if you have it there, it's going to ruin it any place you'll ever have it the rest of your life. You'll never be able to have it again because it's so good at Ocean Air. And that's crab cakes. Oh, yeah. I agree 100%. The crab cakes. Holy cow. The crab cakes at Ocean Air. They're life changing. Yeah, they're going to blow the top of your mind off your head. You're going to take a bite. You're going to take a bite of the crab cakes at Ocean Air and the top of your mind is going to come spewing off the top of your head. Because they're so crazy good that it's one of those deals where you put the fork in your mouth and you pull the fork out of your mouth and you look at whoever you're sitting next to and you just turn your head to the side like...
Are you kidding me? Get out of here with this. Are you kidding with this? This is real? Yeah. Dude, I got to know, do you still do the lobster popsicle thing? We did that on a special occasion. Yeah, we did the lobster lollipop. If you ever encounter this, the lobster lollipop. I'm not a big... The lobster? Frozen, you just suck on it. Do you still do the lobster dove pie? No, I'm not. You guys know me. I'm not big into seafood, but the shrimp there? Oh, my God. I could eat pounds and pounds of it. And then I went, I think it was Valentine's Day. Where you did eat pounds and pounds of it. Lobster, lollipop. Oh, my Lord. Yeah, it's good. It's good. Sky. What? I'm very busy. I'm on SanDiegoRestaurantWeek.com, and yes, Outback Steakhouse is participating. Are you joking? I'm checking out the menu right now. Oh, I will be there. It's San Diego Restaurant Week? Yeah, and it's cool because it breaks it down different ways. You can break it down by where you live, so I clicked on North County Inland, and it'll show me all the restaurants in my area participating, or else you can click by price, and you can click on the $20 one, and it'll show you all.
the $20 restaurant. Restaurant is a word I cannot spell. I sent you the link, bro. Oh, you did? Carver's is participating. Please, get out of your box. Hey, so many choices and it shows you the menu. It does? Yeah, it shows you the menu. Oh, dude, that's rad. It tells you how much it is per person and what your options are for each course. Yeah, this is a good. P1 Instigator, big time foodie. He was writing me on Facebook going, dude, can't wait for restaurant week. I mean, people that love food, this week is a big week in San Diego, man. How long is this going on, Brian? I do believe it goes through Friday night. Can you go by yourself? I need to hurry. Can you go by yourself? Yeah, you can go by yourself. Just one person. It's just one person. That's not weird, though, right? That's not weird, though, right? I have a question for you. If all you have in life left is your pug or your dog, all you have is just your dog.
Can you go along? Do you take seating for one, Brian? There's my gorgeous dog. Hi, little one. That thing was overcooked. Yes. There it is. Here I come. Okay, now wait a minute. Brian had some other stuff he wanted to tell us about, too. I did. Last time I was here, I was... I was the judge on your 24-hour show for the cooking segment, right? Oh, yeah, I remember. It's 28 hours. 28 hours. The last one's hurt the worst, huh? Yeah. Yeah, I do. Let's just knock four hours off of it. What do you guys say? Let's just not do that. Shut up. I like what you're doing there. Go ahead. So our friends at Chef Works, a local chef clothing store, they sent down a little present right here for everyone to see. Look at that. Oh, yeah. The best chef in radio right here. Dude. That is impressive, bro. What does it say? I am flipping out right now. Oh, my gosh. Eddie's going to wear that all the time. Turn the lights on. Turn the lights on, Rob. Yeah. What's that? It's a chef coat. What? On the right-hand side, it's embroidered with the Mikey Show logo. On the left side, it says, Eddie Papani, best chef in all of radio. Eddie. Dude, how sweet is that?
And when I called to get the sizes, they said, don't be scared of X's. Yeah, the bigger the better. You want it big. You want it comfy when you're cooking. That is the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life. That is rad. Yeah. It's one of those awesome chef. Thank you, man. From one chef to another chef. Thank you. I appreciate that. You'll use it. Oh, my gosh, dude. I love that. That thing's awesome. Yeah. Oh, wow. I'm going to cook in that every night. That's awesome, dude. That's rad. Where's mine? Let me tell you something. If we ever do another contest where that's the deal, that's what the prize needs to be because let me tell you something. We would work for that. I've already won one, Mike, so I don't really need it. I'm good. Listen. I have time that I have to spend at home. Just reflecting on that. Processing. I've got a lot of processing to do. I'm processing, man. Okay. So, Brian, thank you so much, dude, for coming in here and telling us what you're, you know, giving us information. And if you want to, you can go to SanDiegoRestaurantWeek.com. The Ocean Air Restaurant is where Brian's at, and it's awesome. One more thing. What did you got?
I sold out. You know, everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame, and I did it with Top Chef and everything like that. And I got greedy, and I went for the 16th minute of fame, and you can watch it unfold tonight on The Real Housewives of Orange County, where I did it for them. It is a train wreck. It's a great show. It's an awesome show. Can you give us, like, anything, a tidbit of what you're going to be doing? I think I'm Tamara, one of the ladies. She invites me up to the house to cook dinner for her and all her girlfriends. Oh, my God. And it was just, I had met them in New York at a couple Bravo events. And I was like, hey, you know, she come down to the restaurant. So they called me up. And so tonight is going to have Brian Malarkey from Top Chef cooking dinner for the ladies. And they start getting drunk on tequila. What else is new? Oh, my. That's great. I will be digital video recording.
That later tonight. Brian, always a pleasure, dude. Your restaurant is top-notch, dude. Thank you all so much. Thank you. Our phone number here is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. We've got this one accident, a bad one, westbound 52, right before a convoy that involved a big rig. It just basically ran over a car here. That's the blocking lanes, and that's got you backed up here, back from pretty much the 15. Into Kearney Mesa, your big advice, avoid it. Once you get past that, some liftover slowing again from Genesee getting to the 5 freeway. 805 northbound is also seeing some busy traffic sales just out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. Westbound 56, a minor delayed to the 5. Everything else is up to speed looking pretty good, so enjoy the ride. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The show's the best there is. Ladies and gentlemen, President Bush. Has given his last press conference. He's also hopefully given the last bit of ammunition to Sky. Well, he still has his farewell address that he's going to do Thursday night primetime on television. But this was his last press conference with the press corps asking questions. We don't need to hear any clips, right? I think in the audience. I don't think we got any. No, we have a whole slew of them. Well. Yeah, we should check some of those puppies out.
What do you got, Mike? That's news to me. Cut 22. Through it all, I have respected you. Sometimes I didn't like the stories that you wrote or reported on. Sometimes you underestimated me. But always the relationship I have felt has been professional. I love it. He's so precious. That is beautiful. It is. I mean, that is gorgeous. Did you guys hear me listening to clips this morning? Yeah. And I laughed out loud. That's so embarrassing. You have misunderstood me. Oh, it doesn't get better than that. Well said. Or does it get better than that, Mike? Yeah. What else we got? What else? Well.
That was the only, like, word flub. Now it's just the stuff that he's saying is just, man, he's opening himself up here. He was asked, you know, to name his biggest mistake. Oh, no. How much time we got? Cut 23. Four years ago, you were asked if you had made any mistakes. Yeah. And I'm not trying to play gotcha, but I wonder... I'm not trying to play gotcha. When you look back over the long arc of your presidency... Do you think, in retrospect, that you have made any mistakes? And if so, what is the single biggest mistake that you may have made? Gotcha. History will look back and determine that which could have been done better or, you know, mistakes I made. Clearly, putting a mission accomplished on an aircraft carrier was a mistake. It sent the wrong message. We were trying to say something differently, but nevertheless, it conveyed a different message. Obviously, some of my rhetoric has been a mistake. Cut 24. There have been disappointments. Abu Ghraib obviously was a huge disappointment during the presidency. Having weapons of mass destruction was a significant disappointment. Call those mistakes or not, but things didn't go according to plans. Put it that way. Oopsie daisy. Do-over. Cut 25. I thought long and hard about Katrina.
Could I have done something differently? Either New Orleans or Baton Rouge. The problem with that is that law enforcement would have been pulled away from the mission. And then your questions, I suspect, would have been, how could you possibly have flown Air Force One into Baton Rouge and police officers that were needed... to expedite traffic out of New Orleans or taken off the task to look after you. Misunderestimated is probably going to go up there. Clips are going to be played back probably for a long, long time to come. But that was it. I mean, he gave most of the stuff yesterday in the press conference. It's the president.
Hey, President Bush. That's right, I'm here. What are you doing? Yesterday you were giving the last press conference, huh? I'm actually drawing a picture of the new Mount Rushmore with me on it. Obviously, right up next step. No, that's not happening. Carving that rock. Put my mug up there. Clearly, that's the next move. No, I don't think they're going to do that. I want to say a couple more things that I didn't get to in the press conference before I ride off into the sunrise. Sunset. Sunset. I'm an early bird, Mikey. Okay. Maybe it is the sunrise that you're riding off into. Colin Powell was a funny name. All right. It still gets me. Very immature. Also, Dick Cheney's perfume smells like wet seal mixed with apples. I never liked it. These are the things you wanted to say. A couple other things I wanted to get off my head. His perfume? Yeah. I think it's called cologne. I don't speak French. Well, whatever.
Wet seal mixed with apples. I don't know if you heard that. That's a good one. Listen, fellas, I had a great run, you know. These past 12 years were great. It was eight. It was eight, President Bush. Wow, it felt like 12. I hope the new guy appreciates what I left him. Yeah? Of course, referring to the box of dirty mags, I left him in the presidential john. Really? Enjoy, Barack. Oh, wow. And you're welcome. That is gross. The presidential john, by the way. Got it. Absolutely. Right. Okay. One of the things I regret, I don't know you guys were playing. clips back of regrets. I've had a few. One of my regrets from my time in office is not taking Cheney up on his offer to go hunting. You wish you would have done that. Well, I mean, I would have given anything to see the look on old Cheney's face when he realized that he accidentally shot his friend in the face.
That is priceless. Absolutely priceless. Point of regret? That is true. That is truly my biggest regret. Really? I can see you. It's a strange thing to be your biggest regret. The things you did were kind of big. I also forgot to thank a few people yesterday. Really? Who did you forget to thank? Well, I would like to thank Laura, of course, my wife. Right, right. She held my hair back during those nights. I got way too drunk off the keylet during our Dance Dance Revolution slumber party. Yes. She's always really cool about that. That is cool. I'd like to think. Wait a minute. President Bush? Yes. How would she hold your hair back? You are mis-underestimating me, my friend. slumber party if it's your wife. I mean, don't you sleep together every night? Every night. What is this? The White House press corps? Sorry. Why don't you keep down over there, Albright? Sorry about that. Sorry. Can I get back to my thinking? Please. Please. Please. I would like to thank Zany Cheney, my right-hand man. Zany Cheney. You did all the decisions for me. I appreciate that. I would like to thank Michael Phelps.
Why Michael Fowler? He taught me how to float on my back. It's a good skill to have. And I just got a visual. Thank you. Thank you for that. You know, I was really afraid to put my head underwater. It's a common fear. It happens to a lot of children. Children, though, this guy. He's a full grown adult man. He's our president. He's our president. You don't know what happens, though, under there. Wow. Wow, that is something else. I'd like to thank Domino's Pizza. Really? For their convenient delivery motto, you've got 30 minutes. That hasn't been their motto for about 25 years. They got that Noid. Do you remember the Noid? 25 years ago. Hello? Yeah, he's been busy. I've been president for like 15 years. Again, it's only been eight years. Again, it's only been eight years. Don't mock me. Last night you threatened me, and now you mock me. Now go find a credit union, lady. Wow. Wow, president boys.

Oh, really? Yeah, because I don't even pack you. Yeah, I've never even heard of it. That's a liquor store. You see, when you live in England, there's certain words that we use that are different from what you're used to there. Right. And you just haven't heard them all. Yeah, we've heard some in the past. I found into a bloke the other day. He was a rump bongler. What? A rump bongler? A rump bongler. A rump bongler.
That's right, Eddie. He was a rump wongler. What's that? Means you prefer the chip over the fish, if you know what I mean. Okay. Mikey's show continues. Rock 105.3. If you are... Welcome back. Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. P1 Nick in Temecula says, dude, listening to you guys on iHeartRadio on my iPhone. You guys should really talk about that app for your iPhones. You can hear The Mikey Show if you have an iPhone. You can download this application called iHeartRadio. And we're on it. You can see me sitting there with your iPhone working out or anywhere you want and be listening to The Mikey Show right through your phone. And, by the way, I talked to somebody that has it, and they said that it's about two seconds behind what you actually hear through your FM radio. Wow. Yeah, it's really fast. It's super fast. So that's like faster than the internet. It's faster than a speeding bullet. Oh, my God. I heard. Awesome. Internet. That's going to be great. Mikey, I think that on Friday it's going to be comedy just watching B-Rob Choke. That's P1 Fartner. Oh!
We don't know that. I mean, that would be funny, but... That's not nice. And it would probably happen, but... But still. But still. But... Okay. No. This text says... No. No. Michael, please bring up the bear story again. Have Zeth blow the whistle and bang the pots and pans during the Budweiser act. No. No heckling. That's P1 number three. Is heckling allowed? They deserve it. Mikey, concerning Sky, why can't I use my Macy's card at Sears again? They were so close there, right? You guys are blowing this out of proportion. It's not... But they're both a star. No, no. That is not good when she does... That is not good when she does that. At all.
Usually I dance. Okay. It's the tone. That's right. Oh, jeez. You guys. Eddie. Ringleader, bro. How dare you. Why are you being like, oh, you guys? I'm just sitting here, man. What's up? Oh, yeah. You're my chef jacket. Custom made for me. Oh, I'm so special. That's what happens when you're a winner, Sky. Oh, yeah. Wow. Friends in 09. Friends in 09. Yes, Eddie. You are right. No, you are not right. So do any of you guys use stuff that you can't stop using? Like once you start using it, forget it. You got to keep using it forever. The internet. The internet. Well, that is true. That is true. I mean, if the internet's ever down and you're trying to. Cocaine. That one too. When people use it, sometimes they can't stop. Facebook. No, I'm talking about actual products. Oh, yeah.
Anything that moisturizes. Yeah. Whether it's eye drops, chapstick. Does that, if you use eye drops, you got to keep using them? Yeah, I've heard that. Yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Because you get used to it, you know? Yeah, you get used, like... I have this foot cream, and when I don't use it, I'm not happy. Really? Yeah. It's a normal cream, but I like to keep my feet moisturized, so I put it on my feet. Girls do some stuff, man. Girls do some stuff that guys just don't do. My wife's like Napoleon Dynamite. She has to have her chapstick. And if she loses her chapstick, she gets all freaked out. Like she's got to have that chapstick, dude. And she's real like upset if she can't find. And I'm like, hey, Napoleon, take it easy. My lips hurt real bad. I'm like, we'll stop somewhere and we'll get you somewhere. But my lips hurt real bad. I need my chapstick. Afrin.
You know that stuff, Afrin, that clears your sinuses out? Yeah. Yeah, dude. If you take that stuff too much, you've got to use it all the time. I know this guy that nonstop pops, like, Recolas. Yeah. Really? I'm like, do you even have a sore throat? And he's like, no. Those are good, though. I just like them. Really? Yeah. And I'm like, that can't be good for you. Yeah. But then Afrin is not good. Yeah, Afrin, I got totally addicted to that at one point. You did? I remember that. Oh, dude. Sean was snorting that stuff all the time. Snorting it constantly. And I finally... you know, decided, like, I just had to stop. And so I stopped, and my nose totally shut down for, like, a week. Yeah, that's the thing. Like, people that take the Afrin will be like, you know, they can't breathe through their nose ever. Your nose was completely closed. Yeah, you, like, can't sleep. You can't lay down because you feel like you cannot breathe. Really? Oh, yeah. That's scary. I've been there one. It's rough, dude. You've been to the Afrin mountain? I got stories. You've been to the top of the Afrin mountain? I got me some stories. Yep. You've scaled that sucker? I sure have. Oh, dude. Going to like an Afrin house. Yeah. It's really bad. It's the worst. Afrodone. You got to take the Afrodone clinic. The things I've done for Afrin. That's right. Skype.
How are you supposed to do it then? You're supposed to just use it for a day? I think it says two days, Sean. Is that right? Two days is the math? No, I think you can use it for... They say a week. No, I would not recommend that. I think if you go for a week, you probably will get addicted. Well, your body adjusts. If you put chapstick on every day, your lips are going to expect it. They demand it. That's like how my mouth is with water. I'm not kidding. Can you seriously do something? What do you want me to do? What would you say to that? How would you address it? You address that. You can figure something out. I'm open to suggestions. That's how my mouth is with water. I swear. It's like, it's like, like I'm addicted to water. It's kind of like your body can't survive without it. It's like that. Yeah, it's like that. It's so like that. Why is she attacking me? I'm just saying, is that not true? That is stupid. She's trying to. You know, you know. All right.
You know. There has to be a long version of Skye. Skye's what we call her for sure. She's in trouble right now. No, I love you. We're going for our walk today. Skye, that's all. Okay. Because I'm serious, Mike. Skye Allen. That's her name. That's her actual name. That's her name. Yeah, but I think he may have been going there just to give her a hard time about the talk. Her middle name's a man's name. You're saying that. I didn't say that. No, I'm saying that because I think that's... It's a family name. It's a unisex name. Alan, where am I today? Where am I? That was a good one, Scott. Bizarro world. All I was saying is that my mouth is so used to me drinking so much water, I really feel like it's been conditioned to constantly having water in it, and so it's like I'm almost addicted to water. I cannot handle this. Believe it or not, she's actually... Kind of right. Come on. Conditioned to have water in her mouth. No, we won't. Conditioned to have water in her mouth. We're trying to save you, bro. No, we won't hear you out. Please. No. I have to tell you this. Listen, I win. How dare you. Can I tell you the deal? It's probably not what she meant, but I'm going to tell you the deal. They say that you're supposed to drink a lot of water. They on they.com. What?
They say that you're supposed to drink a lot of water. Well, I don't drink a lot of water. Neither does Sean. Sean never drinks water. However, when you do drink a lot of water, you constantly crave it. Like, I don't crave it right now. I need it, but I don't crave it. But if you drink a ton of it, like, guess who? Well, yeah. You crave it. Your mouth doesn't crave it. It's called being thirsty, bro. It happens. No, no, dear. Your mouth isn't conditioned. That is true. That is true. Your mouth does not become conditioned. You have water in it. I'm pretty sure we're talking about products you're addicted to, and I'm just saying I'm addicted to water. The product water. My mouth is, rather. Then she ends it with 570-1052. What is that going to do? So talk about it. My mouth addicted to water. Talk about it. There's a number. What about you? What you got? Give us a call, San Diego. Jump on the airwaves. So these are the things that she's addicted to. Water and breathing. Yes. Food. Yes. Food. My lungs are addicted to air, Mike. Yeah. My teeth got addicted to food. My eyes crave sleep. All right. It's to the point now where my ears are addicted to sound.
They can't get enough to have sound in them. Or they're like, give me sound. My hair is addicting to growing. Okay. Like, I should have never started with the growing of the hair. Because now it's out of control, man. Like, if I let it go, I eventually have to go somewhere and have them cut it off. Can you believe that? Crazy. Don't cut your fingernails, you guys. Don't start that tricky, slippery slope. It's a slippery slope. Cut them once. My mom did it when I was like an infant. This day, look at my nails. I just had to cut them. You guys are the worst. I hate all of you. Hey, all you ladies listening right now.
Don't go number one and use TP because if you start... I'm addicted to pooing. I need Pappas. By the way. That's fantastic. I'm a cockaholic. Yeah. So dumb. That's so dumb. You're so dumb. Pee on Cammy. Cammy, go ahead. Ouch. I agree with Ashley. You do. Thank you. Is your mouth addicted to water? What? Now, see, I do think if you drink a lot of it, you crave it all the time. It's just like anything. Yeah. But your mouth doesn't crave it. Like, I don't crave water. I don't crave water now because I don't drink very much of it.
But when you get into that thing where you're drinking it all the time. I remember when you used to drink all that alcohol and then you would crave it. I wanted it all the time. Was it just your mouth or your entire body? Yeah. It was basically my being. Exactly. It's like that. Well, Tammy, what is your take on this? Well, like, even at night, like, I wake up to drink water because I need water. See, that's different. So do I. You wake up in the middle of the night and you need to get a drink. And I need water. See, I don't do that. Yeah, like I did it last night. And I've actually thought about this. Like, I know I'm supposed to be drinking more water than I do now, but I don't want to because I know that I'm all the time, I'm going to be like, I really need to get, I got to go stop and get some water. I love it so much. Yeah, it's so good though. It's just so refreshing. I'll take water over anything. You know, Sean gets his water. Sean gets his water from like juice. And stuff like that. Yeah, because he doesn't like water. Well, the taste of it is awful, man. It tastes like garbage. It doesn't taste like anything. It's tasteless. It's actually not tasteless. It has a very distinct taste. And it's gritty. It's calcific. Maybe try salting it.
All right. Very funny. It doesn't work that way. It doesn't work that way. Have you considered salting your water? Have you considered drinking from an aquarium? I got a great place where you can get some salt water. I don't want salt water. It's called the Dead Sea. It's the ocean, bro. I don't want salt. Put the water in some juice and that way it takes that bitter garbage taste out of it. If you drink the purified water, it's better than the spring water. You drink purified water. Are you drinking water from the dump? No, I'm drinking. It doesn't matter what kind of water. From the trash compactor in Star Wars? Stop drinking that, bro. There's little features in there. Try not drinking out of a soup can. That might help too. I'm not doing that. Can I talk? Can I please? Try not drinking when you're showering. I've tried it all. You're drinking out of the toilet?
The top tank, it's cool. You guys, I think he's trying to talk. It's fresh. Guys, I think he's trying to get something out. I'm not disgusting. I think he's trying to talk. Go ahead, Sean. I've tried all the different kinds of water, and they all taste the same. They all taste like garbage. They all taste like water. No, they don't taste like water. I mean, you guys are used to the taste, and that's cool, that's fine, whatever. But to me, it tastes like minerals and bitter and acidic and gross. So I can't handle it. Sexy Panda. Sexy Panda. Sexy Panda. 570. What the hell was that? Wow, calm down. 570-1053. Sexy Panda. Yes. Sexy Panda. Yes. It's the West Coast premiere of NASCAR, the Auto Club 500, Sunday, February 22nd. Welcome back. It's KIOZ San Diego. I like the Descript Club. Oh, we're back to this. He was perfect in 09. Right up until this moment, he was perfect in 09. That's his phrase. Yeah. Well, guess what? Thing of the past. Times have changed. Come on, Obama. Hit it. Hit it. How dare your face. Do we need to play your theme song again? Oh, he's so turned on. Give me cut 34. This is probably the most vulnerable and the most naked thing out there. There's no place to hide. He's not on the phone. There's no, it's like you're out there and you're just in thick of it with the fans and in the fans' faces and it's a lot of fun and it feels like people are really digging it. Het was taking me to Vaughn's in the back of a pickup. He's...
interviewed every day. Every day. Every day. Yeah, it's his fetish. He's on interview websites. He's interviewed every single day. That's weird. Crazy. Our phone number here, 570-1053. Our text number here is 35253. Rob. Who's that? That guy right there. Hey, what's up, Rob? That guy. Hey, what's up, Ed? Applied for the correspondent thing at the Oscars. For the MTVU. MTVU. Which means you have to be in college to do it. They just said some online stuff. Yeah, the application was really easy. It said, you know, what college you went to. I wrote that in. And then it said, you're expected to graduate. And I wrote 2004.
He put a lot of effort into it, Mike. Wow. He really took a lot of special time. Fingers crossed. He's also going on an audition for I Survived the Japanese Game Show. Oh, that's a great show. I have no idea what that show is. What is it? Well, you know how Japanese game shows are crazy and weird? They took a bunch of American contestants and flew them over to Japan and had them compete every week. in Japanese game shows. And, you know, that you follow them around and all that stuff. And it was a good show. It was a fun show. Yeah, so it's an open casting call. It is this Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe downtown on 4th. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You don't have to bring anything with you. The only thing they require is you have to be 21 years old, you have to be a U.S. resident, and you have to have a valid U.S. passport that's good through May of 2009. Done, done, and done. You know it. There you go. So this Saturday, go and audition. I don't know if I want to go to Japan, though.
A free trip to Japan. Why would you not want to go to Japan? I don't care for Japan. Dude, you'll be a giant there. It'll be awesome. This is your one shot. At least you'll be the same size. At the very least, you know. I don't know. Listen to what Rob wrote in his yesterday email. I made chicken cordon bleu last night. I didn't actually make it. I just cooked it. I had no idea how long to cook it, so I took it out early. I cut it in half, tasted a piece of the chicken, then looked down and saw that it was uncooked. Oh, dude. Yeah, that's a tricky one to cook. I had convinced myself that I had salmonella, and I felt horrible for a couple of hours last night. Clown. You're funny. Disgusting. Yeah. Scary. You are so gross. I don't know how to cook that. Like, in the box that it came in, we threw it away. It came in a box? Chicken cordon bleu in a box? What is it going to be packaged in? You can buy it at a deli counter. This is frozen. It was awesome. When you cut it, why would you taste it and not check it first? I don't know. I was just in the moment. In the moment. You know when you get caught up in a chicken cordon bleak moment? We've all been there.
Dude, a 22-year-old woman is auctioning off in San Diego, by the way, is auctioning off her virginity. And it has hit $3.7 million. This is crazy. And she's from here, right? Yeah, she's from San Diego. Dude, this is what I don't understand about it is how she doesn't get popped for prostitution. Yeah. How do you not get popped for solicitation? Yeah, because this has become a national story. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe they're going to. go over to, I don't know, like Amsterdam to do the transaction. I don't know how they're going to make that happen. But, yeah, so she's auctioning off her virginity because, well, currently she has a degree in women's studies. But she would like to get... That's what Seth studied. Yes. Failed every class, though. Yeah, and so he's going for, or she's going for an advanced degree in family and marriage therapy. Are you kidding? She needs the money. She needs family and marriage therapy herself. Well, first she's going, you know, women's studies and then, yeah. She needs that. Yeah, but she says she doesn't think she's the only one who's going to benefit from the auction. She thinks that, you know, the...
Guy who's participating is going to, you know, profit greatly as well. And she said she got the idea when her sister paid for her college education by prostituting herself for three weeks. So she thought, I'll do it too. Perfect. It's the same. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true. I mean, it is prostitution, right? Yeah. And I mean, this is becoming a huge national story. So you're right. I don't see how the cops aren't going to be knocking on this chick's door anytime soon. Yeah. Blank my blank and blank you. 22 years. old. What? Is she cute? Here's a picture. It's sad to me. Very sad. Yeah. That somebody would be willing to give themselves, you know, I mean, prostitution's sad, but it's just sad. I can't control my horny level. That's a lot of money. I find it hard to believe that somebody would pay that much money. Yeah, right. You know? It's very weird. $3.7 million. Are you on birth control or are you sticking with confidence? Yeah, a sick old pervert. Mm-hmm. Or a young chick. Yeah, that's true. In Dubai. Yeah, there you go. This is text messages we're getting. A Mikey show. Check out the CSI episode Fur and Loathing. It's about furries and their conventions. Sean already has it on his TV. This text message says, Mikey, that sexy panda song is the best thing I've ever heard in my life. That's being a predator. No, it's not.
Mikey, water's one of the most addictive things ever. It's right up there with cigarettes and honey-baked ham. That's P1FX. Mikey, if only Awkwafina came out with baby food-flavored water. Sean! Sean would be happy. That's P1J9. Is that bamboo water? Yes. Oh, Sean. Sean eats baby food. He eats baby food. That's weird. Blueberry buckle. It's his fave. It's good. What do you want? About three months? It's good. Look, I have to take medication throughout the day. 38 months? No. 38 years of age. Oh, Mike. That's just creepy. Blueberry buckle. I don't. It's good. It sounds delicious. And cute. Yeah. Does he wear a bonnet when he eats it? No, it's just what it's called, bro. I don't know. Look, I just need something small so that I can take some medication. Those things are perfect for that. How about applesauce? I don't like applesauce. I've had yogurt. That's what I've been eating, yogurt. I don't want to eat that anymore. You eat yogurt. You drink yogurt. Get it right. Hello.
With a little bit of salt and a little bit of manure. Ew. What? Isn't that what he said? Yeah, he did say that. You got it. Guys, now you're being ridiculous. I can't believe he said that. Mikey Ashley's armpits are addicted to sweating. That's P-1-S-T-C. That's very true. I wouldn't call it an addiction. It's more of like a problem. Compulsion. Because I don't like to sweat. That is true. But your pits do. But they do it. As opposed to those people that like being addicted to drugs. Well, that isn't a good problem. But I like being addicted to water. I love it. The eight. California says. What? Do you ever listen to yourself? What do you want? Every day. Podcast. Every day. Sad. Very sad. Stop calling me sad. It's starting to affect her that you're constantly calling her sad. You're always calling me sad and I'm not sad. I'm very happy. She goes home and is alone and listens to the show band. Well, that is sad. I like to hear it. I like to hear it. And then Saturday night, she's watching football. I like football. This is a 25-year-old, vibrant young lady. Wait, what? That is true. Very sad. Wow. Hey, girl, I don't know. You keep telling yourself that. You seem a little loco to me. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. Really, bro? Really?
She's looking at Eddie right now like, really? I mean, this is what you're going to start doing? Don't eat your Taco Bell. Don't eat your Taco Bell. And act all innocent over there. A study is showing that the economy is affecting the divorce rate. Yeah. Duh. What do you think the effect is? People fight about money. Yeah, people fight about money. I think people fight about money probably more than anything else. That's why my parents got divorced. Money. So the study shows that divorce is on the rise for rich people, but it's on the decline for middle and lower class people. Really? Rich people because they're losing their money and they're fighting about it and they want to split up. You know, sometimes some people marry other people just because they have money. Money, money, money. They're kind of like, I'm out. And with the middle class. Show me the money. When the middle class people, you know, they're losing money too. It's not funny. Hey, guys. I love money. Hey, Skye. Skye. That was her in line at the credit. The middle class. We know that you do, but that's inappropriate while you're telling us a story. Hey, guys.
I love money. Again, again, again. We know, but this is a story that you're in the middle of telling. Please finish the story, and then if you'd like to editorialize on how you feel about cash, that's fine. So, in regards to... Tell me the money! Can I please? Can she please? So, in regards to the middle class people, money, money, money. They are losing money, too, in this economy, and so they're finding it expensive to get divorced, and they don't want to spend the money to get divorced, so they'll stick it out and try and work it out rather than have to pay the money to get a divorce. Fifty years of wisdom from my parents. They've been married 52 years now. A couple of years ago, I asked them, how'd you guys stay together? I said, didn't you want to get divorced? They said, yeah, a lot of times. I said, how'd you guys do it? He said, no, you just didn't. I thought, there's some wisdom in there. There is. There is. I love that. They said, we just didn't do it. I love that. People give up. I said, so then what? And they said, we got over it. I remember, man, when I was 13, my parents were going through a rough time when I was 13. 83. And I remember walking to school one day, really scared. I thought they were going to split up. And I was scared, man. It was real upsetting to me. And they didn't. And they didn't, like, announce it to me.
I just felt like any day they were going to announce something that was going to devastate me. And it never happened. And then, you know, before I knew it, they just like were normal again. But it was a long time. It was like a month. There was like a month, a good four weeks where it was. And they just they didn't do it. And then it worked out because, you know, and it's it is a good lesson, because like when you get into it with your spouse, you get really mad. But then it kind of just, you know, it works out. You know, you give it a little time. You give it a little time and you're not as mad anymore. A little compromise. A little compromise. Thank you, Mikey. Just give it a little time. Let's see. What else? What else am I missing this big? Oh, the state of California, right? Mm-hmm. Is unveiling a program six months early. Listen to this. What is this about, Sky? This is cool. Well, the state had planned, you know, to eventually get it to the point that all sex offenders have the GPS tracking ankle bracelets on. But, you know, it took a while. So they hope to have it accomplished by the end of the year. And it was so important to them that they actually got it done early. Our state actually accomplished something and got it done early.
It's called the Cyberdyme Systems. Yeah. No, that's not. Cyberdyme Tacking System. No, it is. It is. Read the small print. It's brought to you by SkyNet. It's not. No, I didn't see that. You're not reading it right. I didn't see that in there. Open your eyes, lady. I mean, they're open. I read it. Well, use your thermal vision then. Yes. No, I don't have thermal vision. I'm a human. Well, what's wrong with you? You are? Yes. I'm looking at an electroskeleton. What are you talking about? No. Wait, let me cut your arm off. No, I know. You just put it back on. No, that's not how it works with humans. Yeah, you can make your arm into the shape of a knife or something. Oh, yeah. I'm not a danced model, but yeah. You know. Yeah. Yeah, it's a polymimetic alloy. Yeah, it's a polymimetic alloy. Totally. You can do it. Oh, no. There's something cool. Make some ceviche out of your arm. Ceviche? Come on, let me see you do something. Do it. Oh, no. You won't. You won't, I dare you. I'm a human. You won't. Come on. I keep telling you I'm a human. Ceviche, you won't. No. Make it into a turkey wrap.
Turkey wrap? I'm so hungry. Can you make your arm into a turkey wrap right now? I can't. What do you want to eat? I think you should make it into a Hot Pocket. Yeah, yeah. What flavor? No, that's ridiculous. That's stupid. That's ridiculous. I like ham. Yeah, yeah. Ham and cheese. Can you make it into a ham? I'm not credited here. Yeah, okay. That one? I wouldn't have gone there. Thank you, Governor. But since it's out there now, form it into the shape of a credit union. Skynet is... Dude, you're going to get in trouble, okay? Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't go there, man. Skynet is connecting all the credit unions. This is stupid. Stupid. You can get your money out anyway. Let me understand. Hang on.
Let me understand this super futuristic concept. Talk about it. You're saying that in the future. Yes, in the future. You can have a credit union that anybody can walk into regardless of the credit union that they belong to. Yes, yes. And with your money. Wait, what? That is what I say. But that's crazy. Oh, yes. The double flip-off. That is not what you formed your hands into. That is not the shape of ceviche. The shape of something different. Wow, Skye. Mike, you get any text? Yes, I did. Triple flip-off. He's doing his job. Yeah, there was a tone there that says, hey, read some text because they're going to make fun of Skye. That is not always. Skye, you are wrong. It's making fun of Ashley. Really? Mikey, I think Sammy may be addicted to ugly. That's so mean. He's not ugly. He's not. It's just his face is. Oh, no. Don't say that about me. That's not fair. That's cruel. Wow.
Don't talk with your mouth full. It's rude. I'm not reading that, you jackhole. You do your job. I did mine. No, you do yours, all right? Steeping me out of trouble. Oh, no. Are you serious? I mean, what is his problem? It was the P1. Wow. Yeah, you should read it to everybody. Mike won't even read it. Mike, don't read it if you know that it's not good. It's about, you know. Water. Flooddings and stuff. You know, it's just, listen, there's no reason to go there. I'll try to find it. You erased it already. It's been erased. All right, fine. It says... You're the worst. Who is the worst? You are. You P1s. We're ready to move on. I'm listening. I'm listening. Read it. You can podcast it later. How did Ryan Seacrest get dissed by Brangelina? Wow. Okay, so Brangelina is walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes. I would like to be Seacrest. Oh, come on. I didn't say that. Well, he did that one time. Well, I said it, but I didn't mean it. It was at its context. And so Ryan Seacrest is interviewing the stars on the red carpet, and Brangelina starts to walk by, and Seacrest...
directly looking at them, goes, hi, guys. Brad, Angelina, you know, has a microphone there. And they look at him and just keep on walking. Oh, that is awesome. They probably don't know who he is. Well, and that's what he said. He said. No, no, no, no. They have done Idol Gives Back. Yeah, but they're not interviewed by him, are they? Yeah, but they're on the American Idol. They know they have to know the show. Don't they just get a cameraman out there filming them? You don't think they watch the show? I'll bet that they know who Paula Abdul is. No way. Dude, they've been living in Namibia. They watch E. I bet you they're eclectic. No way. He's a big producer. He has a radio show. It's hard not to know who he is. No chance. They probably don't like him. Yeah, Seacrest said, I don't think Angie thinks that I'm important. I don't think I'm on top of mine for Brad or Angelina. They're not. I honestly don't believe they knew who I was. They don't care, Ryan. They know who you were. They didn't care. They don't care. They've been in Namibia and France. They live in New Orleans. They do now? They have for a long time. Yeah, they have a couple places. We're assuming that they are into...
You know, pop TV. Doesn't matter. You know if you pick up magazines, anything. They don't. They're not in violence. How do you know? Because you know they're not walking into grocery stores. They're on covers of Entertainment Weekly. You don't think they go through it? I don't think that they go to the grocery store and go, I'm going to buy Entertainment Weekly. And I also don't think they have a subscription to it. So they're in a magazine. You don't think they look at it? Dude, I think they're sheltered. I think they're sheltered. No way. No way. I have the answer. Let's stop fighting. So Angelina was interviewed. We are fighting. I know. Let's not break up over this, you guys. It's over. Angelina was interviewed by Seacrest in 2006 and gave very short answers to the interview. Oh, yeah. He, from there, went on to call her cold when he discussed her, so talked smack about her. I remember that. And he was interviewing her? Yeah. I accept your apology. He was interviewing her. On what? I don't know if it was for E! I think it was during a press junket for one of her movies, and then he went on to discuss it on his radio show and on E! Entertainment and referring to her as cold. So he interviews her, and he asks her, and what did he ask her?
Just questions. Normal questions. Normal questions. And she gave these short, bitchy answers. And then after, when he's playing the interview back, he's talking smack about her, about how she's cold and bitchy. And I believe that got back to her, and they're like, we're done with you. Yeah, could be. And Brad was on American Idol, where they brought him out on stage. He was. And then he kissed Ryan Seacrest. Why didn't you say that? I tried. I was being screamed at. I said they probably went out there and filmed him. You screamed at me that they don't have an Entertainment Weekly. They practically slow danced together. Remember when Mikey's parents said, come on, there'll be better days, let's work it out. Never break up. It's never let go. It's never let go. It'll work out like the people on the Titanic. And she should have got off of that thing and let him climb on there too. Hug it out, bitch. I think that this is really interesting of Brangelina. They're walking down the aisle together, down the red carpet. Was it live on the air? No, no, no. This is a different thing. This is Entertainment Tonight asking Angelina a question. Angelina, what did you think of Brad's performance in the curious case of Benjamin Bratt?
No. Yep, that was a good one. Cut, then. I know his work, and I know his heart, so I wasn't surprised to see that he played it so beautifully, and it was such a, you know, that I cared for Benjamin so much in his story, but I was more surprised by how well it was executed by everybody. Oh, no, no, no, no. Oh, you cut out the part at the very end where he says, he comes on. What does he say? He says. Oh, I thought you didn't want that part. No, no, no, I didn't want the question. Oh, I got you. Now you're fighting with Sean. Sean, it's over. Can I pull it real fast? I can tell you. He says, this is the first time that I've actually heard this. He says, this is the first time that we've ever discussed the movie. And I thought it was really interesting. That's weird. And I don't believe that either. They don't talk about it. Come on, you work on a movie for six months and you don't mention it? You guys don't talk about it? What she thought of the role? Well, anything. Yeah. You know, like, that's bizarre. Yeah. It's really, I thought, wow, that's interesting. Oh, you gotta, Zef, you gotta send that link. Yeah, send it. He's got the link of Seacrest getting dissed. Let me see. That's... What's it on? YouTube. YouTube. What do you gotta... Faceys, faceys. Type into YouTube, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I sent you the link. Diss Ryan Seacrest. Yeah. You wanna hear it? Yeah, yeah.
Play it. It's coming up. Do it now. It's coming up. Let me hear it. Play it. It's coming up. Put it on the air. Can you air it? Stop fighting. Has he hit it yet? I want to hear it on the air. Will you please? Yes, he did. It's coming up right now. Put it on the radio. Congratulations. Very nice to see you. Thank you. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are here on the red carpet. And let's see if we can make our way. They're right here. Yeah, right here. Hi, guys. Hi. We're going to make our way through here and come back in just a second. Do you think it's because they didn't see him standing there? Wow. That's pretty awesome. It's a very compelling video. You can find it if you search Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie diss Ryan Seacrest. That's what you have to type in. On YouTube. Friday is going to be a big day here. Oh, no.
Boston Rob and Boy Blunder are going to do a comedy showdown. Oh, my gosh. And we're going to have a live studio audience here. It's going to be great. It's going to be so good. 5701053. Can you get any more text? Will you stop it, dude? Rob, what? I don't know. Just seeing what's going on. This text says, simply, Sky is addicted to free lunches. Oh, no. P1 loose change. I mean, you stopped the show for that. I didn't stop it. Any more text, Mike? Yes. This one says, Mikey is addicted to having shoes dropped on his head by roommates. Look at Rob. Look at Rob. He's dying laughing. That's awesome. I'm sorry, Mike. I'm sorry. Bringing up that memory. What's funnier? The memory?
Or Rob loving it so much. It is delicious. Both. Mikey will blunder be wearing that hideous skin suit on Friday. He'll get more laughs. Maybe he should come as Indiana Jones. Let's go. How many years? Oh my gosh. Remember that time Blunder came dressed as Indiana Jones? Well, I mean, would you consider that Indiana Jones? He just had a fedora. And a leather jacket. You don't know that Indiana. You don't know Indiana Jones. And a Tommy Bahama shirt. Oh, Mike. Tommy Bahama. Nothing wrong with those, Mike. I don't wear Tommy Bahama shirts. I've never seen you wear a Tommy Bahama shirt. I like them. I mean, they're great friends.
Oh, jeez. Wow. She's a jerk. I am not. I love you. Maybe we didn't see the scene in Indiana Jones where he wore a jean short. Like, maybe there was a pool scene or something. It could be. He was going for a hike. Indy, you have nice calves. Oh, you remember how mad he got? We were busting on him. I'm surprised you didn't go home. You got so bad. I wish you would have. It was boo ball. It was boo ball. Yeah. You know, so it's a Halloween costume party and he shows up wearing jean shorts with a Hawaiian shirt and a brown leather jacket. And Eddie goes, what are you? Mike, are you Indiana Jones on vacation? Poor kid.
Boy, kid, you were busting on him, too. Oh, yeah, you were. Oh, like I would. You did. I'm a better person than that. No, you're not. You're not. You've never been. Wait. We didn't have to go that far. That's true. Shush. Quote, you've never been. Hey, it's Big Bear Jones. In his Barbie car. Seth. Seth. Too far. Oh, come on. You think you are. Big Bear Jones. It's funny on so many levels. Oh, so many. Think about it. Dude, it's 1035. He's not awake. You're right. Hibernating. My cheeks are hurting. I think she got him. She got him. Really? He always wants to know, though, like, what are they saying? What are they saying? I'm listening to TSC. Oh, he's on. Get him, Mike. Get him, Mike. What is that? He sounds like he just woke up, though.
So just be gentle. Don't bang pods and pants. You. Wait a second. I don't understand. Why do you want to attack me? We don't at all. First of all, there was a salmonella outbreak in peanut butter. Just so you know. That was only for like old folks' homes. Well, I just want to make sure you're aware of it. There haven't even been any cases in California, Eddie. I don't know why. I don't know if there's some leftover in this beer. We were talking about. We were talking about the time. That one time. That one time that you came to Boo Ball dressed as Indiana Jones. Awesome costume. I still have the jacket, too. You still have the costume? Did you go online and, like, find an Indiana Jones costume and order it? No, I put it together myself. Really? You did? I can't believe that. Okay, and it was. It was. It was awesome. Describe.
Let's see here. I had the, like, that brown sort of jacket. I had a, like... Brown sort of jacket. Well, what would you call it? A leather jacket? A brown leather jacket. Brown leather jacket. Brown leather jacket. I had the hat. I had the little whip. It was very cool. I don't remember. You had a whip? He had a whip. Yeah. What about the jean shorts and the Hawaiian shirt? Yeah. And then... He also had... He also had the Indiana Jones Reeboks. Yeah, well, I didn't have, like, boots or anything like that at the time, so I went with what I had. Well, you didn't have any, like, you know, khakis at the time either, because, you know, Indiana Jones wore khakis. Not, ah, dang it, not 501s. Yeah. You're radio down. Hey, chill. Hey there, guys, that was my alarm clock. Oh. I wake up to the Mikey show every morning. At 10.30? Yeah, 10.30, yeah, right. It's such a lie. It's 10.30, but he hits snooze. It's 10.37. Bring it off. Blunder, you are a gift. How did that go off three hours early? Was there a point to you? Oh, no. He's going to get great. Did you know I was sick yesterday? I've been dead to the world the last couple of days. What do you have? What do you have?
I don't know. Some bad head cold or whatever. It's a bad sound. I'm not going to come to your house and play poker now, Eddie. It's over with. That's fine. We want you to do something for us on Friday. It's more for yourself. We've already said that you're going to, so you better say yes. You have to be nice to him now. What did you volunteer me for? It's all good, Eddie. Tell him what he's doing. Do you still have the skin suit? We heard that you've been dabbling in stand-up comedy. I have, yes. And we have a comedy showcase for you. We're doing a little comedy showdown between you and Boston Rob. And I have said that it's for real. It's not like... No joke. It's not like people are supposed to be conditioned to laugh for Rob and not for you or laugh for you and not for Rob. It's not like that. It's for real. Will you do it? Of course. Yay! You're going to beat me, Blunder. Take it easy on me. Blunder's a good guy. Yeah, he is. He's a great guy. All right, dude. Well, it'll be fun. It'll be fun. Yeah. It's like a lot of fun. All right. We'll see you on Friday. And hey, don't come for sick. I don't want germs. No, I won't. I'm sure I'll be fine by then. Okay, cool. I hope you feel better. All right. Thank you. Talk to you later, Blunder. Bye, guys. Bye. That's Blunder. He's the best. Oh, he is adorable. He's a survivor, dude. He got attacked by a bear. He survived. He is.
He's a bear survivor. Isn't that book Into the Wild about that story? I thought so. He goes to groups and stuff with other bear survivors. Well, you need support. When your face is eaten by a bear. Like there's people that are actually like mauled. And he's sitting in there like in his Indiana Jones outfit. Just for fun. They're like, what's the matter with you, guy? Well, I survived. They make fun of me. They do. 570-1053 is our phone number.
