Mikey Show. It is 6-0-3. Yesterday, the judge in the Britney Spears case left the current ruling against Britney in effect, meaning she has no visitation with her boys. All right, it's time for the injury report. It looks like everybody's going to play on Sunday. The biggest concern has to be quarterback Phillip Rivers, who probably won't even practice this week. Really? Yeah. Dude, so if he's not practicing, is... Okay, we cannot read into that and go, okay, he's not practicing, and so on Sunday it's going to be all jacked up. It just means, hey, it could be fine Friday, but they don't want to take any chances, don't want to put any weight on it, that kind of deal? Kind of. If he does practice, it will just be Friday. That's the earliest. LT, he's got the hyper-extended left knee. He's probably going to return to practice tomorrow. He's going to take today off for sure. Maybe tomorrow. Antonio Gates, you know, he's basically the same situation he was last week. Not any worse, not any better. So, you know, limited practice time for him. You want to put all these guys in a bed and just make them take a nap. Yeah.
Lay down, you guys. Well, you know, I'm thinking about it, and it's like, man, it's going to be hard enough to play the Patriots on Sunday with your full health. But with all our three biggest stars banged up, it's going to be really, really difficult. For sure. Welcome to the program. 570-1053 is our phone number. We are seven people on the Mikey Show. There's seven of us. Dang, we almost have our own football team. It's true. It's true, pretty much. You can call us about anything you want at the beginning and end of every show. I'm going to introduce everybody. I'm the host. My name is Mikey. I'm 37 years of age, and I'm wearing my LT jersey today. No reason. Going through the closet, and I said, I'm going to try it out. LT is the jersey I was always afraid to wear because I felt that he was too slim a player for me to wear. I would need to wear an offensive lineman's jersey. But I was talked out of it, and now I'm good to go with my LT jersey, and I'm glad to be representing. Eddie is our producer. Our sports guy is 34, and we're both from the same hometown. We both lived in Gilroy. We both grew up in Gilroy. Garlic capital of the world. That's right. It is. And I believe, I honestly believe this, that garlic is better from Gilroy, even though...
I don't know if there's much difference to the garlic grown there or grown anywhere else in the world, but I believe that it tastes better if it comes from Gilroy. It must. I believe it's something to do with the soil. I'm all right with that. Yeah. Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years of age and... She is also from the Bay Area. Went to Lincoln High School in San Jose. Or Pioneer High School in San Jose. Why did I say Lincoln? Well, that's another high school in the district. Yeah, I know. And I know that you went to Pioneer because I've announced it a million times. She's a Pioneer Mustang. That's true. That's right. And, you know, used to be a vata. That's right. Used to wear the hooded sweatshirts of her Hispanic boyfriends. Went through a little phase. A little phase. It was a brown phase. It happens. You know what I mean? Yeah. It happens to us all. Yes. By a phase, you mean what she's still going through now? Yes, she's still in that phase. Her husband is still that way. Whatever. Sean is our sound effects guy. I know you'll like him. I love him. I do love him. We saw him last night. We love him. I do love him. Sean is our sound effects guy. He's 37. He's in a German phase.
Yeah, can't help it. That's what I like. His wife is German. What are you going to do? Do lots of German stuff. Thanks, Sean. Just mark that as 607. It's 606, but it's so close to 607, we might as well mark it. Ashley is our assistant producer, and she is 24 years old. She's got a glow about her. She looks good. She looks like she's happy. Thank you. Is anything new? How's your dog? Fantastic. That little, what's it called? She's my everything. Puggle. Puggle. She's a Puggle. She's half Pug, half Beagle. She's her everything. She's my everything. Half a Pug, half a Bugle. You can play the dog. Bugle, yeah. I'm obsessed with her. Yeah, she's my everything. She's her hero and her idol. She's my idol. I look up to her. Gwen Stefani and Sammy.
I'd give her CPR if she couldn't breathe. I don't care. I don't believe you would do everything for her. I don't believe you would be willing to go the extra mile. I believe you would be willing to go far. But as far as like, wow, would you sacrifice your life for your part pug, part bugle? I don't believe you're willing at this point. Probably true. But I also have realized with how much I just instantly love this dog because she's all mine, that for my kids, like when I do have kids, I would absolutely. I mean, I'm going to spoil them like rotten. I believe you will. Yeah. I believe you will. It's going to be good. Boston Rob's next up. Rob. He's the sixth member of the Mikey Show. Hey. Rob. That guy is 25 years old. Yeah. How do you like that? Yeah. And every day he comes in and he wears something new. Well, not new. Ow. Please correct yourself. Yeah. He wears something that represents Boston area sports. There you go. Oh, boy.
But very rarely do you see Celtics or what's the hockey team, the Bruins? The Bruins, no. Very rarely. He's got some Celtics, no Bruins. Yeah, my brother's got Bruins stuff. He was a huge Bruins fan, played hockey for like 12 years and all that stuff. I would like going to the games, just not a big fan of him. He's all about the Red Sox and the Patriots. Bored with it. And he's getting married. Yeah. He's engaged to be married. To a lovely gal. What's the wedding date? She's saying tentatively November 8th. There you go. It's a good day. Nice and fall weather will be nice. And then finally, Zeth is the seventh member of the Mikey Show. And he said that yesterday at a gas station, a lady called him fat. Yeah. What? Which is weird because he's not fat. He's tall and lanky. He's six foot four? Three. Three. Six foot three. Why'd she call you fat? Well, I used to go in there all the time. I'd be in there on a daily basis and I went in there for the first time after a while and I tried to buy cigarettes and I didn't have my ID on me. So I go, you know me and I have long sleeves on so I pulled the sleeves up because I had the tattoos. She's like, oh, I remember you. She's like, man, you got fat. Wow.
Oh, my goodness. Yeah, and it's weird because I've actually lost weight since I was going in there, you know, pretty much every day. Oh, man. I didn't even know what to say to her. People say crazy stuff, right? I mean, they really do. They say crazy things. Are you okay, Seth? I'm fine. Thank you for asking. P1 or Ron? You're not fat, Seth. You're not. You look good. Are you fat? You look great. Ron, go ahead. Yeah, Scott, what year you graduate? 95. In 95? So I graduated in 96. I'm from Del Mar High School in San Jose. Del Mar High School? In San Jose? Where the heck is that? Yeah, where is it? It's near the Pruneyard. The Pruneyard Campbell. Yep, the Pruneyard. Know it well. There you go, dude. Well, congratulations. Yeah, hello to a fellow Bayerian. Like a preppy school. There you go. A lot of preppy kids go there. Yeah, I was too hard to go there. Yeah, Skye was gang members. Skye says 95. I realize, man, she's young. Yeah. 95. Makes me sick. She's a young girl. Yeah, I'm like physically ill, dude. Ask these kids if they graduate. I don't want to. I know. I'm like 95. Wasn't that just, that was just, that was not that long ago. That's crazy. When did you graduate, Ash? Hey.
2001. 2001. 2001. 2002. 2001. We had to cheer. Dude, that sounds like a little girl. That's like a... 2001. I haven't had my 10-year reunion yet, but it's coming up close, like three years. Oh, my goodness. That's 10 years after I graduated. Wow. That's sickening. Oh, no. It is sickening. It is. It's revolting, actually. Oh, man. That is crazy. Wow. This year is my 20-year reunion. What? Shut up. Oh, my God. 2008. One foot in the grave. Are you going to go if you get invited? That chick that heads it up writes me emails all the time telling me to go. I'm not going to go because I still feel fat and ugly, and I don't want to deal with that. Then Jeff Garcia goes there, and what if he goes there?
So handsome and football player-ish. Handsome? I don't know about that. I don't think he's ugly. I don't think he's bad looking. I don't think he's handsome. He's far from it. I think he's hot. I'm really into it. Don't say that around him. Yeah, he'll take you up on me. Oh, man. No, there's that. He is a gay man. But you have so much to be proud of. You have a beautiful family and a great career. No, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I have that, but I don't know. You know what it is? If I could, I would go to Class of 87's reunion because I had a lot more friends in the Class of 87. Most of my friends were 87. In fact, when they graduated, it was real tough for me. The year they graduated, the next year when I was a senior, I barely went to school. I didn't know any of those guys, the 88 guys. I didn't really know. Most of my friends were a lot older than me. I hung out with older people. So it was tough. And so now when I hear from some of them, do you want to go? I can't even get Kim to call me back. Kim's mad at me. Still? Yeah, dude. She's real mad at me.
Hey, it's not that I don't blame her. It's a situation of like, well, she's got to do her thing. She's got to, I got to give her her time to come around. I got a friend named Kim that I was really close to in high school. And she doesn't want to talk to me because I didn't go to her wedding. And I RSVP'd that I was going to her wedding. Well, this was during when I was like, this was, in fact, her wedding was, I think, when I was in rehab. I never responded. I told her I was going to go and then never got back to her and said I wasn't going to go. I was going through my own little stuff. And so I've explained that to her and apologized. I'm really sorry, but it's in her time. Whenever she's ready to, I'm sure she will. But that high school reunion, I was going to go to it in 98. I was going to go to the 10-year. And the same night that the high school reunion was going to be, was the night that we were doing this thing called Mikey's 28th Annual Birthday Bash for Rock 105. I think they were Rock 105 then. I don't think they were still Rock 102. And I was doing nights here. And we did this thing. And it was giant. It was down at Kane's. We sold tickets on it at Ticketmaster. And the thing, we filled the place up. Wow. Doing the night show. And so I didn't go to it.
And I didn't care that I wasn't going to it. I was like, oh, this is great. And then felt guilty about not going to it and talked myself into, I'll go to the 20, and now the 20's this year and I don't want to go. Weirdest thing in the world. Insecurities. I don't know. Maybe I'll get over it. I'll probably go when I'm old. Like a 40-year reunion. I'll probably go to that. I'll be like, ah, it's fine now. P1 Patrick. Hey, what's going on? What's happening? Nothing. I just want to say it feels good finally being back to be able to listen to the Mike show. I've been away for the last three months. Really? Where were you? Marine Corps boot camp. Oh, wow. Depper fi. Look at you. Well, congratulations, bro, and I'm glad you're back. Thank you. It feels good just listening to you guys. Once again, you guys put a great smile on my face. Nothing like driving to work and listening to you guys. That's awesome. Awesome. What did you miss eating the most when you were gone? Pizza. Oh, pizza. I don't know. I'm only 18, so right now I can stuff my face with about anything else. Lucky Doug. Yes, you can. Thank you. P1 Charles. Good morning, Mikey. How you doing, guy? Good. I guess you heard about the Girl Scout cookies coming up, haven't you? I know they were going to be. I mean, I figured it was about time, but I didn't think it was until like March. No, it starts Saturday morning, but you guys aren't going to be there until Monday morning. And I have a Girl Scout troop who would like to come by there in the morning, bring you guys some cookies.
coffee, donuts, whatever it's going to take to get you to listen to what they have to say. That's funny, man. That's funny. And what is it? Your kids? Yeah, my kid and I'm going to bring a couple other girls also. Look, he's being resourceful. But he didn't think to have his kid call us and ask. The cookies go to the troops too. There's a thing called Operation Thin Mints where the cookies actually go to all the servicemen around the world. And kids all around San Diego are filling out these little cards. So each spot The box of cookies that they get has a card from a kid from San Diego. They use guilt now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's basically, you know, no pressure. No pressure. Hey, listen. Hey, listen. No pressure. If you want to hate America, that's up to you. No pressure. The troops go hungry. Hey, Sky says, how come not the kid? Why didn't you have the kid call? Well, because she's a little nervous. She's a little shy. She's here right now, though, but she's a little shy. Well, if she's shy now, what's she going to be like when she comes into the studio? I'm bringing two of her friends with her. I see. And they're loudmouths, is what you're saying. But they can't do it until Monday. Some girls got in trouble last year. All right. Write me an email, bro. Okay. Your email address is on the website right here. Got it. Yeah, all right. Thanks. What do you guys like to drink in the morning? I don't know. Write us on the email. We'll figure it out. Okay. All right. Thank you. I'll do it right now. Thank you, guys. Appreciate it. That's the best way to blow somebody off without actually saying it to them. You just say, hey, write me an email. Right. You don't do anything about it. You just tell them, write me an email.
But it's better. It's a lot better than saying, you know, oh, man, I don't know about that. It makes you look better. Avoid confrontation. Yeah, it's uncomfortable to say it's somebody right there to him. Hey. Very awkward. Listen, you. Not a snowball's chance, bro. I don't know about this. I don't know about this, you know, Girl Scout thing coming in here. But write me an email and, you know, let's see what we can work out here. We'll say no over email instead. But you started the president last year. What did I do? You had them come in. last year no memory of it not even i honestly i don't even have a tiny recollection of that yeah there's little girls in here were they cute oh that's sweet how many um well there were i think there was one and then she had her uh brother with her her little brother that sounds nice yeah that's cool to have amnesia it's like you're getting told all the oh this is my wife i love her Lucky me. Lucky me, she's beautiful. Well, that's nice. Hey, listen, you only have, what, three days till the CD comes off sale? Is that it? Is it three days? Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Hey, do you guys still count on your fingers? I still do that. I put my fingers under the table so you guys can't see it. But I always count still with my fingers. And there's three days left. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. That's it. On Friday, the CD comes off sale.
And you can't get it anymore. And I'm telling you, now what you have, a lot of times with the old CDs that we don't sell anymore, is people buying them on eBay or people selling them on eBay or people asking us, how do I get them? And they're gone. Once they're gone, they're gone. So it's a really good CD. And it's at Cricut. You can get it at Cricut locations. So I would get down there and get on it as quickly as you can. Yesterday, I got a text. from Katie Darrell, who works from TMZ, Brittany got out of the car, got back in the car, and split. What? Yeah. She was supposed to go to that hearing about her kids. Yeah. She got out of the car, tons of paparazzi swarming, and she says, it's too much. Stop it. Stop it. I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared. And then she gets back in the car, and they split. She goes to some fancy restaurant by where she lives, and has a... dinner, and then goes home. So it's okay for her to go out to a restaurant, but not to court? Well, apparently, I don't know if they were swarming her at the restaurant, but what happened was at the courthouse, they told the paparazzi, you have to be on the sidewalk only. So they're all on the sidewalk. So they're trying to open the door to the car. The door comes open, and as soon as she steps out, they're all swarming around her. Now, we've seen this before.
Personally, when I watched the video, I thought, oh, it looks like she's maybe making an excuse to not go in there. Like she's saying, oh, stop it, help, whatever. And then getting back in the car to split. But who knows? Maybe she really did feel fearful, even though she's... Pretty used to it. I don't know. I don't know how she doesn't have some type of mental spasm or something from all the flashing lights constantly being on her because that cannot be good for you. Like go into epileptic seizures or something. I swear to God because even just watching her on TMZ and for her to go through that on a daily basis, like I would go insane. But Eddie makes a great point. Good thing she hasn't. Good thing she's got what it takes to get through that stuff. But Eddie makes a great point. So she can't handle the paparazzi at the courthouse, but she can handle the paparazzi at Starbucks, at Target, at Petco. This is for your kids, man. Suck it up. She's not well right now. I think at this point, it's so far past all of that. But to do that every day, get that in your face. Well, the judge says, sorry, February 19th is the new date.
Can't see the kids till then. He upheld the order that was already in place and said, this one's sticking and we'll address it again February 19th. It's a long time's away. But yeah, I mean, it did look like she was flooded by that. It looked like it was weird. I've seen Brittany come out of Starbucks where they're not pressed up against the car. But I've also seen where she comes out of a car and they're pressed up against the car. It wasn't any different look than what I've seen in other places. If she had her faculties about her, it seems like she could have had a couple of bodyguards, hire them, have them move the paparazzi back from her and escort her in. But it doesn't even seem like she's there enough to even think that far ahead. Sky, did you see it? I didn't see it live, but I saw... Pictures of it in her white little cocktail dress showing up at the courthouse. I was going to ask you about the dress because I go, look, I was like, is she wearing that wedding dress again? No, it did look similar to the wedding dress, but it wasn't the actual wedding dress. It's like a cocktail dress. This was a cocktail dress. So strange. Hey, so guess who was in the meeting? Federline. Of course. So he's in there, right? He's there every time.
He's got a mohawk and a business suit on. Oh, there you go. I'm ready now. Thank you. I'm glad you... Someone is. Someone's got to be. You know what I mean? Now a word on Cloverfield. Oh, talk about it. Sean. Cloverfield is this new movie that J.J. Abrams produced. And I think it's directed by somebody named Mark Reed. And there's been a lot of buzz about it. If you see movie previews, you've seen the previews for this. And a lot of people were like, well, what is it? What's this monster? Sky had me convinced it might be a bunny. It was not a bunny. What is it? A lot of people said it's Godzilla. It is not Godzilla. A lot of people have said it's Al Franken. It turns out it's not Al Franken. So I was like, what is this going to be? It was like aliens or something. Like some kind of aliens. Well, we don't know what it is. I don't know. We still don't know what it is. They never say. They don't say what it is. It was awesome. You don't know what it is. It's some kind of thing. I don't know. Awesome. It's a monster. It's a monster. It's a creature. It's good. It's really good. Listen, I thought it was good, but the movie, I didn't realize the whole movie is done from a camcorder.
From the perspective of it. The whole movie is done from the perspective of it. Very Blair Witchy. Yeah, I didn't think so either. Because in the preview, you see that. But I just thought that that was some cool marketing and that would maybe be like the intro to the story. Yeah, I thought that that was a part of the film. Right. I didn't think it was the film. The whole thing. The whole movie. Which... Awesome. Yeah, I mean, it's just that it did the camera deal that makes, if you are a person... I know I am, and Ashley said she is, and you're not, right, Eddie? It doesn't bother you at all. Does it bother you, Skye? No, not really. Zeth, does it bother you? Nope. If you don't get bothered by video games, you're good to go. But when I watch video games and they shake or they move... It's a motion sickness thing, you know? It's like reading in the car. Like, I can't read in the car. It just makes me sick. And that's what happens. You get nauseous, and you feel dizzy, and you feel like you're going to throw up. And that's what it felt like to me. I thought I was going to throw up. But I don't know about you guys. I thought it was good. Yeah, I thought it was pretty good. What did this thing look like? What was it? Should we say? I feel like a jerk. I know. I don't know what we're supposed to say. That's why I stopped, because I'm like, well, I don't know. Tell me off the air. I don't think anything is giving anything away by saying it's a creature. No.
You kind of get that throughout the previews and stuff, but I don't know. I wouldn't want that ruined for me. We don't have to give that away, but it's a creature. The one thing I got from the movie is how claustrophobic New York City is to me. It's an island, and there's only a few ways to get off that island, and if something bad happens, I was thinking, man, what do you do? There's so many people on that island. Yeah, that's a good point. There are scenes where they're in places that just make you feel closed in. Yeah, big time. And they aid that by having other people around to make you feel even more locked in. And then they aid that with having it be shot from the perspective of a camcorder. But I said to Rebecca as we were driving home last night, I said, I think that this movie... in my opinion, has a legitimate chance at giving one of the highest grossing movies of all time a run for its money. And the reason why is, not because I thought, oh, it's so great, it's going to make a billion dollars, although I did think it was good. I think it's got a couple of elements that are going to build money into them. One is, it really had a young element. Kids are going to love...
this movie. They're going to love it. Did you guys notice the use of the cell phones in the movie and filming stuff? It talks to kids. The video iPod. It talks to kids. The movie talks to kids in a language they speak. So that was one. And the other brilliant part about it is that it's about an hour and 10-15 minutes long. Really? Yeah. Which I think is great. And And so I think that those elements are going to have kids talking about it in a big way of like, oh, dude, it's good. Like the things that bothered me, the only thing that bothered me was a shaking camera, which kids will have no problem with. No problem with a shaking camera. And so to kids, it may be perfect. It'll give them everything they want in a short amount of time. It'll get great word of mouth. But what it'll really get because of that quickness is. repeat business people won't have a uh feeling of um fatigue uh if they aren't bothered by the camera the only thing going against it is the time of its release if this were released in the summer it would make
billions of dollars. But because it's January, his kids are in school, you know, that whole thing. And I'm kind of surprised that they released it now. This is usually the dead zone. A big summer thing? Yeah. And it seems like a big summer movie, right? For sure. Well, no doubt in my mind, this movie's going to make a gajillion dollars. I don't know whose movie company it is, but I think people will go back to it again and again and again and again. When I was a kid... People did that. Kids went and saw movies a ton of times. There was not really a lot of VHS or DVDs. There was no DVDs when we were kids. So if we wanted to see it again, we weren't waiting for DVDs. We had to go back and see it again. Right. So I really liked it. I thought it was cool. What did you think, Eddie? Yeah, I liked it a lot. I was entertained throughout the whole thing. I thought it was interesting that it was all no-name actors. I loved that. I thought that was cool. You gave it more realism almost. really buy into the story yeah um i i thought it was really entertaining i thought it was good what do you think sky
Yeah, the same thing. I actually said that same thing to my husband on the drive home last night. I love that you're not watching like Brad Pitt and trying to buy that he's like some average dude. It's all no names. And, you know, and I thought it was very creative the way that, you know, they did it all on the camcorder. And, you know, J.J. Abrams, if you know him from Lost or whatever, you kind of know how he likes to tease you and, you know, maybe not give you all the answers. And I thought that was kind of cool. Eddie says, my wife says when we walked out that why does it have to be so what was her complaint? Why does she have to be so underwhelmed when we leave the movies? Because today she's going to love it. She's going to love it. This is what happens. Did she do that with I Am Legend? Yeah. She really liked it. The next day. Yeah. Yeah, it was really good. I remember when we walked out, she was not that into it. Yeah. And we were all like, what did I? Yeah. Herp only, she said that her, she's real tired of seeing people in New York City herded around or people in big cities herded around and like taken by the government. And she's like, that idea to me is very old now. And I said, well, besides I Am Legend, where have you ever seen that? And she goes, uh, War of the Worlds. I go, yeah.
Well, whatever. Stop going. But she is always underwhelmed when we leave them and then the next day she loves them. We got a lot of cool stuff on the show today. We're going to do a little Wuss Rock jukebox. Now this is where dudes call in and sing Wuss Rock songs. And they try to sound effeminate. And then they are judged by Eddie and Sky and Sean about how effeminate they sound. We're finally getting to this email of this guy that wrote us about his tattoo. He made a mistake. you by sleep train mattress centers. Got to solve the problem in the northbound 15 transition ramp to westbound 52. That ramp is completely shut down due to an overturned car on its top here. Emergency crews are on the scene here and that's causing a bit of a backup. You've got a couple of alternates to avoid that if you possibly can. Head eastbound on the 52. That's going to take you a long way down the hill to Santo Road though, getting to Santee and then turning around, getting back on the westbound 52 that way. That's a bit of a stretch. My advice is Stay on the 15, go up to Miramar Way. Turn around, take that south on the 15, and then get back on the westbound 52 in that direction. Or you can avoid the 15 altogether if you're coming off the 8 freeway. Just keep on the 8, go over to the 163, and take that north, and then get on the westbound 52 from that freeway. That way you can avoid the whole mess altogether. Right now, the southbound side of the 15 out of Escondido, pretty typical. A little slow from Auto Parkway to Via Rancho, then again through Rancho Bernardo. A minor delay on the south 15, I make that the southbound 5 rather. out of Encinitas in the Salon Beach, and North 805 is starting to see a few breakdights up to Nashville City as you come up out of the South Bay. They've got this new cranking class, which I don't even know what that is. But, I mean, apparently it's the new hot trend. I think it's like Soulja Boy. Oh, crank that? You start cranking it. Whatever. But it's cool, man. You can do whatever you want there. Like me, I'm going today. Got another thing today. Is it getting easier? A little bit. I still kind of am not into that mode yet where I'm like, oh, cool, I'm working out today, where I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. I'm still kind of in that dread mode where you have to kind of kick yourself in the butt to make yourself go. Well, give it a week or two and you start craving it. Once you start doing that, the hardest part is going. Once you get yourself going, you're fine. But that's the hardest part. It's something that you've got to do, though. Join me. Join Frogs Fitness. Sky, what is the currency of France called? These are the two things in my head. There's the Euro and there's the Deutschmark, but I'm going to go with the Euro. That is correct. Is that German? Is that it? Well, that's a German word, isn't it? It's either the Euro or the Pesel. I believe it's the Yen. I normally don't use currency. I use gold. That's right. I wish we would just go back to an all gold.
All human trafficking. That's right. Currency is currency, all right? The Mikey Show. The Mikey Show continues. Mark and Idol being back tonight. I'm already annoyed. You are. I'm already annoyed. They ran some commercial that had the thing that we didn't like last year, how they make them sing certain songs, and they put montages together. They already are showing that they're doing that again. And I was irritated. Cut 35. This... is American Idol. Hello, everyone. How are you today? I know you're wrong. You're not that strong. Let me go. Just like a song that's in my heart. I was singing back in season three. What? These little town blues. It's 641. That's going to be on tonight. American Idol's back tonight. Oh, my. Eddie's already annoyed. Well, you know, the audition process,
is to me the best and worst. Like, there's stuff I really like about it and stuff I hate. And it's way too long. They show them way too much. Yeah, they don't need to go through that process so long. It's like, seriously, five weeks of auditions. You know, Ashley auditioned. I don't know if you're new listening to The Mikey Show. Our very own Ashley auditioned for American Idol. And San Diego is going to be on Monday. so who knows maybe we'll see ashley on tv you never know we don't know she's not allowed to talk about it they said she can't talk about it so after it airs on monday we can talk about all the stuff we weren't able to talk about cool but we can't talk about it until then talk about it cut 33 if somebody could play an instrument then they were allowed to come on and play it in the company themselves um For some, it worked fabulously. Others got so wrapped up in playing the instrument correctly that their performance went out the window. What do you guys think of that? They're letting them play instruments. That's interesting. I think it may work to some people's advantage. You can do like an acoustic song, you know, something like that would be cool. But I mean, anything else could be kind of strange. Maybe piano. Yeah. Here is Chris Daughtry on American Idol's State of Decline. Cut 25.
I don't regret it at all. I'd do it all over again if I had to. I think it's a great tool for people to use. I mean, it's all about taking the opportunities that are in front of you and making the best of them and using them to your advantage. I think it's cheesy if you're going to go in there and use gimmicks and things like that and not be yourself. But if you're going to go in there and you're going to be yourself and you think you have what it takes, I think it's a great opportunity to show the world that. He's not really saying that it's in a state of decline there, but he does say that it's in a state of decline. Basically, what that clip is, is following his talk about it being a state of decline. And then he goes on to say, well, even though it is, it can still potentially help people. But his quote regarding American Idol being a state of decline is, quote, I feel like it's definitely lacking some credibility at this point. It's in a state of decline. And if they don't do something about it, it's probably not going to. last too much longer well i don't get it it's it's obviously it's stronger than it's not only is it not in a state of decline but it's at the strongest point that it's ever been and in terms of what's the word that he used in the very beginning it being lacking credibility credibility it's got more credibility now than it ever has because uh of you and carrie underwood and
You sold the most records of anybody last year. Nobody sold more records than Daughtry in 2007. I hate that guy. Credibility. I hate that guy. That's the most credibility you could possibly ask for. Carrie Underwood is the biggest music star there is right now, really. That's true. But you do have to admit that some of the winners of American Idol have kind of flopped, like the Jordan Sparks, the Taylor Hicks. Well, there's always going to be that. But, I mean, listen, besides Sinbad, What are you about to say? Whoever became a star from that stupid... What was that? Star Search. Oh. Star Search was essentially supposed to be kind of like America. In fact, when American Idol came on, I was like, what is this? Star Search all over again? Star Search never yielded the biggest stars of our time. It just didn't do that. And American Idol yields...
the biggest stars of our time. Chris Daughtry sold more records than anybody last year. Kelly Clarkson. You're going to have your Ruben Studdards and whatever. Fantasia is somewhat okay. Not every winner is going to go out to be the huge superstar. I don't think it's too early to judge Jordan Sparks. We haven't really seen that much out of her yet. Why do bad auditions make it to the air? Simon Cowell. Got 29. Within the show, I think that if it was... Why do you do your interviews along the phone? Why doesn't anything take place in studio? I saw him get interviewed by Anderson Cooper. It's just so funny that I don't think anybody does any kind of humorous show should ever go on a serious interview. And the reason is because... They talk to them about stuff that's supposed to be kind of goofy in a very serious way. You will audition these people, Simon, and they will cry. What of you? What do you feel? And he's sitting there smoking a cigarette like, are you joking? Are you kidding me? Come on. Nobody's putting a gun to everybody's head that's walking into these auditions. What are you thinking?
Have you guys heard this uproar, by the way, about Tom Cruise? He went on, I guess was in this interview for the Freedom Medal of Valor. I don't know what Freedom Medal of Valor really is, but it's an award. Yeah, congratulations. He won it, and he got this nine-minute video. There's this nine-minute video of it on YouTube. Well, I guess they've yanked it now. Sean, is it down now? Yeah, it's down. You can't see it anymore, but we have the audio. In fact, I think I'll play it next segment. I'll play it next segment. But we've got the audio. They've taken it down. And it's all about Scientology. Like, there's stuff about him talking about Scientologists. An award from the International Association of Scientologists event. You know Tom Cruise, man. He wants to sue everybody. Yeah. So I don't think he wanted this to be seen by the general public. Is he saying stuff that maybe the general public would think is a little wacky-tabacky or what? Well, Tom Cruise talks about how great it is changing the world. He's changed the world? So there's one thing he talks about. He talks about how, you know how there was this story recently in the press about how he pulled over to the side of the road and helped somebody out that was dead on the side of the road? Well, one of the clips is that he cannot drive by an accident because as a Scientologist, they're the only people that can help. The only people? That's what it says.
I don't know. We'll hear the clip, and that's what the clip says that it says. Here's a voiceover at the end of the video. Cut nine. A Scientologist can be defined by a single question. Would you want others to achieve the knowledge you now have? In answering that question, Tom Cruise has introduced LOH technology to over one billion people of Earth. That's only the first wave he's unleashed. which is why the story of Tom Cruise, Scientologist, has only just begun. Interesting use of music. What? It's a Mission Impossible music. Who has to say the people of Earth? Well, you've got to let us know, like, what planet are we talking about here? It's like the Iraq.
Could be the Iraq. How do you know that he's not talking about the people of the Iraq? Exactly. Okay. You never know. I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so. Such as what? On Earth. Because some people out there in our nation don't have that. And I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as. Thank you. And as such as, you should know that. So we're going to take a break, but when we come back, we're going to give you this stuff that he says about Scientology. It's pretty, they've already yanked it. They said it cannot be seen by anybody anymore. So we'll have that coming up in just a little bit. Locally, you know that beach band, the booze beach band? I guess it has stalled. And the reason that it has stalled is because, remember, how many signatures did they have to get, Sky, to put this? They needed just over 30,000 signatures and they submitted over 45,000 signatures. Okay, the problem that they're having is that they have a lack of valid signatures. So what does that mean? People were signing twice or putting Scooby-Doo or... Right. Because I used to sign stuff and put Peter Pan just to be a... A jerk. Just to be a jerk, I would sign stuff and I'd put Peter Pan on it.
And I'm sure that somebody would read it later and see that it said Peter Pan, and they would go, well, that one doesn't count. Now, what if my name was really Bruce Banner? Yeah, what if it was? What are you going to do, not count me? Well, if a Bruce Banner is registered to a vote at the address you put down, then cool. But I don't know what went wrong, but I remember they would have these kegger parties to collect the signatures. What did you expect? So, you know, maybe. Yeah. So maybe they're not going to get some real signatures at a drag party. So that's the deal with that. And all right, let's do this. Let's take a quick timeout. When we come back, I'm going to play this audio of Tom Cruise and also read you this email. We'll get into it. And I want to hear what you think about it when you hear all this stuff. It's 570-1053. We'll be back. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. 105.3. You're our next American Idol among us today. After six unforgettable seasons. Number one song on iTunes this week is this one. How do you say the name of this artist, Ashley? Flo Rida? Flo Rida. Flo Rida. Oh. Featuring T-Pain. Me too. You know what I do? I crank this up when I'm playing basketball. Yeah. Yeah. Sounds like you. Yeah, you know, I'll have some of the guys over in the neighborhood and watch some pickup basketball games. Yeah. The Y, and I'll take my boombox. I bet you score them. Dude. Yeah. The other day, I elbowed this guy right in the neck. You know, because it gets physical. It gets really physical. It was like street ball. It was like street ball. It gets real physical at this game. And, you know, he stood up. He said, hey, you can't hit me like that in the neck. Call foul. Yeah, he called a foul on it. And a few of us started arguing about it. And, uh. Fight.
A fight was about to break out, and I said, let's settle this with a slam dunk competition, which I won handily. Of course. Handily. That's what you pin the song on, right? Yeah, but what it really got me into thinking about was, you know, this should be a way for me to settle everything. Yeah, good point. Slam dunk competitions. Nice. It's 6.59. It looks like four major studios are giving up on negotiating with writers. They've started canceling contracts and terminating production agreements. Arkansas star tailback Darren McFadden declares for the NFL draft could be the number one overall pick. All right, so let's take a listen to some of this stuff. This is Tom Krimus explaining why he cannot drive because about two or three weeks ago it came out in the news that him and Katie Holmes were driving around in their Hummer and that they passed a... people broken down on the side of the road in the snow. And so they decided to pull over and help them out. And this is Tom Cruise explaining. Cut to. Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident, it's not like anyone else. As you drive past, you know you have to do something about it because you know you're the only one that can really help. But that's what drives me, is that I know that we have an opportunity and
to really, for the first time, effectively change people's lives. And I am dedicated to that. And I'm going to absolutely, uncompromisingly... That was strange. Very glib. Why the music? Why the... Well, that's the thing, you know. People can believe whatever they want to believe. You want to believe you be a Scientologist, be a Scientologist. It's America. Do whatever you want. But... For some reason, with Scientology, there's so many goofy aspects that come along with it. And playing the Mission Impossible theme when you're trying to be serious. Because that's kind of a cool thing. The fact that he can't drive by an accident and not help. That's a good thing. That's nice. Yeah. But listening to the Mission Impossible theme in the background, I'm like, well, this is goofy.
I honestly, I am really curious their thoughts on why they're the only ones that can help. Yeah, why? Oh, yeah. And that was the other thing. The only people. Why? Yeah. How come? Like a Catholic doctor can't help. A Jewish nurse can't help. I mean, anybody except a Scientologist is the only one that can help. That's weird. Which I don't understand. Why? That's crazy. They have healing powers. I don't know. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That would be cool, though. Here he is explaining Scientology can cure addicts, criminals, and create peace. Cut four. We are the authorities on getting authorities on the mind. We are the authorities on improving conditions. Criminon. We can rehabilitate criminals. Way to happiness. We can bring peace. Unite cultures. That once you know these tools and you know that they work, it's not good enough that I'm just doing okay. Traveling the world and meeting the people that are talking with these leaders in various fields. Responsibility to do. It is the time. Now is the time. It is being a Scientologist. People are turning to you. Better know it. And if you don't. That is a very committed man right there. That guy is committed to that cause. And the dramatic pause.
It is neat. I love it. It's like a minute long. Well, I don't understand. Listen, there's just a lot of things that I hear that I just don't understand. I wish I could ask, well, Tom, what do you mean you're the authority on these? He can cure people. Yeah. He can stop wars. Yes. What, you're addicted to drugs and alcohol? No problem. Done deal. Well, yeah. I'll fix you up. Well, you're the authority. Yeah. And you want help. You want my help. I do. Yeah. I will tell you right now, none of us in this room are SPs. What's an SP? An SP is a suppressive person. This is the enemy of Scientologists. Oh, no. And this is him being asked if he's ever actually met an SP. Cut five. They said SP. What are you doing over there? And I thought, oh, what a beautiful thing, because maybe one day it'll be like that. You know what I'm saying? Maybe one day it'll be that. He's like, they'll just read about those in the history books, you know? The thing is, I just go through that tech, and it's literally, it's not how to run from an SP. It's PTSSP, how to shatter suppression, confront shatter suppression. You apply it, it's like, boom. Because they don't come up to me. They don't do it to me, not to my face.
out Tom Cruise. It's one of the greatest. I've met SJP. CTP. What the heck? You know what? We're constantly out of TP at our house. I can relate to that. Why don't you put some of that on there, honey? Here he is talking about how great it is changing the world. Cut eight. I have to tell you something. It's rough tumble about those people, the spectators, either in the playing field or out of the arena. Really, that's how I feel about it. I do what I can. There's nothing part of the way for me. Eddie, we've got to film you doing that. He's something else, man. Wow. Funny. I just want to see it. That's the thing. I've got to see the visual.
Because I'm looking at Eddie doing it, acting it out, which is good. But I want to see what Tom... I think Eddie's pretty close. He's got it. Dead on. Wow, that's something else. Oh my goodness. Well, he's very passionate about it. Yeah, he is. And you know what, man? I mean, if he's living his life and he's happy and everything's good, then there you go. I mean, that's his choice. Everybody has a choice. And so that's his choice. Do we have time? Can I do this? Can I read this? Sure. Let's see. Wow. I've got to find the right one. Where's this tattoo email? Is it from Trooper? I've got these two over here. There we go. Thank you, Oates. Hey, Mikey. I know you, Eddie, and Sean are married guys, and maybe you can relate to this. I got married two years ago, and I've been trying to adjust to something that I am not. That's not the tattoo email. Good job, Seth. Sorry. Well said. Sorry, Sean. We'll get this all straightened out for you, Sean. Ben's dead, baby. I got it. Rob came in to help. Dumb and dumber over there. I swear. Hey, Mikey, I did something real dumb.
I got a tattoo with my girlfriend's name on it a few weeks ago, and she just broke up with me. I had people tell me beforehand that it was the kiss of death, but I didn't believe them. Now I have this tat on my arm of an ex-girlfriend forever. I really thought she was the one and thought she was going to think it was cool. She didn't even care, and now we aren't together anymore. I really regret doing something like this. I don't know how I'm going to explain this to my next girl. Just thought I'd get your thoughts since you have a lot of tats. Thanks for listening, signed P1 Travis. Well, I got Rebecca's birth date tattooed on my arm, and then we broke up. I had to cover it up. I couldn't believe that. I feel so bad for you. So, you know what I mean? And now we're married. Wow. Yeah, so now I got to cover up the tattoo that I got the cover up with with her birth date. Oh, goodness. No, I mean, what do you do? It's a terrible, terrible idea. It's a terrible idea. It's a terrible idea. Never do it. You're never do it. Don't do it. It might seem like a good idea at the time. But it's not. But it's not. It's not. Eddie, Eddie, what are your thoughts? Ever. Get a tattoo.
What do you think? I don't have any tattoos, so I think you, Zeth, and Rob are probably more the experts on speaking on this. But, you know, if I were to get tattoos, I would never get any girl's name on my... anywhere on my body. Even if I got married to them, I would be really nervous about it because you never know what happens. Look at all the celebrities, too, that it hasn't worked out for. Jolie, Pamela Anderson. Hey, Skye's an exception to the rule. She's got the word bunny boo covering her entire chest, but not a lot of people do that and have it work out. Skye. You know where the little ears go. That's right. Whoa. Those are ears? Yeah. Well, it was supposed to be. It kind of went awry. Those are gigantic ears. You're getting a little older. Yeah, it was good in concept. Because they used to stand up. Floppy ears now. Yeah, now they're like the floppy bunnies. I thought it was Dumbo when I first... Wait a minute. Hey, guys. Too far. I was going with the joke. Too far. There's a flag down. Sky, what do you think? Yeah. I mean, like...
No, but my Dumbo comment. Yeah. If you're not married, give me a break. And even if you are married, you know. Still crazy. Yeah, not my cup of tea, but it makes a little more sense. Like your kids, I understand they'll always be your kids. I can understand kids, parents, siblings. Yeah, I think I might get a Jake tattoo because they'll be my kids. You probably think that's cool when he's older. But I'm sure, like, what's Rebecca? Rebecca's hearing that going, what? So I'm not always going to be your wife? Give me a break. You're supposed to be. Yeah, truthfully. Honestly, I should feel comfortable. now getting a tattoo that says Rebecca. Honestly, I should because she's my wife and your wife is a commitment that you make for the rest of your life and not your girlfriend. Who knows? When it's your girlfriend, who knows what will happen? But look at all the celebrities that it's just gotten so messed up for. 5701053, tell me about some tattoo you regret. P1 Rob. How's it going, Mikey?
It's good, man. How are you? Not too bad this morning. I have a tattoo. I don't regret it, but I got some advice for that guy who got a girl's name tattooed. I personally have four girls crossed off of my arms. All you got to do is cross one off and leave them with the next one. Wow, man. Hey, listen, if you're willing to go for that, go right ahead. What do they say? So tell me what it says. The first one was Maria, the second one was Latoya, Heather, and the last one was Amanda. Okay, the first one was who? Maria. Maria. What happened with Maria? Well, it just, you know, it went down south. You know, we were young when it happened. I don't need to know details. Hello. We went separate ways. Okay, so you went your separate ways. And then what happened with LaToya? LaToya. She got involved with the Jackson 5. Heard that story before. Turns out it was Michael. That's right. And then who's the last one, Heather? Heather and then Amanda. Amanda. You knew Heather was going to go there. No way was Heather going to work out. Well, dude, like, I mean, you know. Don't be so sure about Amanda. Right. Don't be so sure about Amanda. No, Amanda's crossed off. Oh, she's gone too now. Who's next? Well, and see, this is my thing. Like, okay, if you are going to get a tattoo for your lady, like.
It's because it's supposed to be special because she means so much. But if you're just adding another name to the list, I'd be like insulted as you're like. It's like another notch in the belt. Can't you put like a symbol or something? You know, like something that means something to just you two, but nobody else knows what it is. Right. Then when you cross that off, you know, it doesn't look so bad. Well, you don't have to cross it off. It's a symbol. Or just write it in a cool language. Well, yeah. If you put a dove, you don't have to cross off the dove. Nobody knows. Still cool. Hey, what do they say? What do your girlfriends say, Rob, when you keep getting these girls' names? Mikey, believe it or not, I can't believe it, but girls love this tattoo. They think it's hot. I have no idea why. Yeah, it doesn't surprise me in a weird way. It's almost so jacked at school. It's that kind of dirt baggy thing. Right, right. I wonder if Rob will ever cross Boston off of his neck and put San Diego down below it. That'd be great. He'll get a radio job in Seattle, cross San Diego off. He's so proud of that San Diego tattoo or Boston tattoo on his neck. Ugh. He's so proud of it. So have you ever gotten a tattoo that you are, that you regret? You ever gotten a girl's name tattooed on your body or a guy's name that you regret? Have you ever done any of that stuff that you regret? I know my buddy Tim has a tattoo he kind of regrets. What is it? Well, he's got a lot of like...
pretty cool tattoos and a lot of hard tattoos. Oh, but one of his first tattoos back in the 80s was a Tasmanian Devil. The cartoon. Wow. Which, you know, back then maybe it was cool or whatever, but now it's like he's got all these really hardcore, you know, nasty tattoos with Taz on his arm. Discard! Have you ever asked him about it? Yeah, yeah. I mean, he's like, you know, but it was cool back then. Hey, I was a kid. I was a dork. At the time, that seemed like a good idea. Right. Yeah. That's how I feel about this Aquaman tattoo. And we don't make fun of him at all. Yeah, exactly. You got Pepe Le Pew on the other arm? Yeah. P1 Ra? Yeah, what's going on, man? What's up, man? Nothing. I agree with Eddie. I think a symbol, a symbol's a little better than a name. Yeah. Yeah, just put like a little picture that's something that you guys understand. Yeah, my fiance's name is Joe. When I get back home, I'm getting a tattoo of a cup of coffee. That's cute. That works. That's Joe. Yeah, there she is. And if it doesn't work out, you'll just say, hey, I love coffee. Exactly. Yeah, it goes along with some of the tattoos I have. I got, like, some goofy tattoos that I love. That's cool. I like that idea. Yeah, I do, too. All right, bro, thanks. All right, no worries, man. Have a good one. You too. Mikey Show. Hey, this is Dennis. Hey, Dennis, what's up? Hey, I got kind of a weird story about getting tattoos of your kids' names. Okay.
I have, well, right now I have four children, but I had three children, and I wanted to get one on each shoulder and then one across my heart. And the artist, the tattoo artist, spelled one of my kids' names wrong. No way. What's your kid's name? So I stand up, I look in the mirror, and I go, it's spelled wrong. And he laughed, right? He laughed. He thought it was a joke. And I go, dude, I'm serious. It's spelled wrong. So being the spiritual guy that I am, I told him, I said, look, let's just cover this up with something. We figured out, you know, basically I've got this big rose with a cross, and then it says it's Greek for Christ underneath it. And so it turned out to be an okay tattoo, but you can still kind of see the name underneath the flower. What was the name? Dominic. And how did he spell it? D-O-M, let me think, D-O-M-E.
I see. He forgot the N. But aren't they supposed to put a stencil down before they actually taught you? Yeah, and that, see, that was the thing. I had spelled out all three of my children, all their names. And when we started the whole process, you know, I was going through all the names and looking at making sure that, you know, A, they were spelled right, but that they looked centered, you know, that they looked symmetrical on my arm. Right, right. And so I didn't pay a whole heck of a lot of attention. Technically your fault. Wow. Listen, you learned a valuable lesson. I ended up paying the guy. He wanted to do it for free. And I said, hey, look, you know, it goes two ways. You know, I should have caught it before you even.
I have a misspelled one too, dude. Don't feel bad about it. I got a cross on my leg and I was supposed to say Matthew 1128 and it says Matt Hugh 1128. Guy forgot a T. And I didn't even realize it. I didn't even recognize it. It was this girl that we worked with that did news for us for five minutes in Dallas that I called Tori. Her real name was Katie. And I called her Tori. And she goes, let me see your tattoo. Because I had just gotten it. I had flown out to San Diego. And I got the tattoo. This is when we lived in Dallas. I flew out to San Diego. Got the tattoo in San Diego. Went back to Dallas. Was real proud of it. And she goes, let me see. And I was showing it to her. And she goes, what is Matt Hugh? And I go, what are you talking about, Matt Hugh? And she goes, your tattoo says Matt Hugh. Oh, that's terrible. But it goes to show, you know, God was speaking to me because basically now I have another child that I didn't expect to have. You should have named him the name of the one that he put on there. Yeah. I mean, if that wasn't a sign, I don't know what it is, dude. P1 Mike. Hey, what's up? Go ahead, man. You're on the air. I got this buddy that had a... He was married and everything, right? Yeah. His wife's name tattooed. And then they got divorced.
So he got a tattoo over that, and it basically looks like it's a rectangle with the word void. It looks like they just stamped it over her name. Wow. That is brutal. That is brutal. Hey, thanks for the call, man. Appreciate it. My wife, Rebecca, wants us to go see that stupid movie. The bucket list. Oh. Looks cute. Oh, come on. Stop it. Yeah, you two go. The idea of the movie is that you, these old guys, are supposed to make a list of stuff that they want to do before they kick the bucket. So they call it the bucket list. When we're in the break, Eddie and Sky, everybody, and people listening, think, what would you do? What would be number one on your bucket list? Oh. What would you want to do before you kick the bucket? Why don't we go around the room and find out what everybody on the show would do on their bucket list? And we want to take your calls, too. I want some suggestions. 570-1053. The Mikey Show is on. When you're talking trucks, bigger is better. In the North County, you're still going to find some brake lines around an earlier motorcycle accident clearing in Oceanside. It's northbound 5, just past Mission Avenue, so be careful there. Westbound 78, another accident just past Nord, also when you ride around yet through San Marcos. Southbound's out of the 15, that's pretty tight from Auto Parkway down over here Rancho. Slows again out of Poway down and towards Mount Mercy Road. Out of the East County, things are picking up here in the Cajon Valley and the westbound 8 from Mollison up over the Grossmont Summit to Severn Drive. From there, it's kind of off and on through La Mesa all the way to Lake Murray. The west 94 also tight from College Grove way now to the 805. And then the usual slowdown from Home Avenue in the downtown. And things are getting pretty rough out of the South Bay, especially in this 805 northbound. That backs up approaching the South Bay Freeway pretty solid from here all the way to Mission Valley. Then again out of Kearney Mesa from Balboa heading up over to 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. www.kudzu.com. Kudzu. Like you have to think of it like that so you remember how to spell it. It's like mud but with a K. K-U-D-Z-U dot com. I love this website. You really got to get on the ball because this website, it's kind of like your neighbor on the web. You get everything that you need in one click. You can find out where all the good places are in terms of a handyman, a mechanic, a restaurant. Doesn't matter anything. You can get the directions. You can find out where it is. You can get reviews from different people that have gone on and said how it is. You can get everything you need right there at the website with one click as opposed to going here and then this and then that to get the directions and know where everything is. It's just all in one click. So much easier. I needed to find where Barnes & Noble was up by Mikey's house because I was going to his son's birthday party and I needed to get a really cute book at Barnes & Noble and I was buying the gift on the way to the party. Whatever. And so I found the directions. found the closest Barnes & Noble to Mikey's house, found everything that I needed, got the reviews on the Barnes & Noble. They said it was really good. All right there on the website, www.kudzu.com. That's K-U-D-Z-U. Do it today. Now, in case you missed it, this is a Mikey Moment.

Baltimore and Atlanta call Cowboys Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett for second interviews. I got an email from Shauna. Not our Shauna. Not our Shauna. Not different Shauna. Is she in labor right now? Today's her due date. Yeah. Today's our program director's due date. Oh, Shauna. No, this is Shauna, the producer for Kimberly King over at NBC 739. She wanted us to mention this Fire Relief CD.
There's a new CD out, and it's called Fire Relief, and you can find it at firereliefcd.com. And it's actually got some pretty cool local bands. This is one of them. This is Angels and Airwaves. This song's called Sirens. What, the proceeds go to Fire Relief Fund? Yeah, the proceeds are going to go to Fire Relief Fund, and what they're also doing is they're doing the CD benefit launch on, let's see, Thursday, which will be two days from now. Thursday the 17th at Anthology. That's in Little Italy downtown. And it's going to be going on from 7 to midnight. Tickets are only $27. But that includes a CD with the purchase. And everyone will be able to watch nine bands that are going to be featured on the CD play live. Wow, that's cool. That's right. Food and drink specials. Chance to buy tickets. Opportunities for drawings. And it's going to be hosted by Kimberly King and the band Bushwalla. That's cool.
which we used to play on Rock 105.3 back in the day. Oh, did I mention it's all ages? So that's one from, who is that? Angels and Airwaves. This is Switchfoot. There's a new Switchfoot song on there. I guess not all these are new. What? The Jason Mraz. I don't know Jason Mraz. I know that he's a little popular with... Chicks, right? This one's called Silent Love Song. Oh. You can barely hear it. It's a silent. It's like the word gnat. You know, the G is silent. Okay. So anyway, that's new music from them and you can check it out. Fabulous. Speaking of CDs, how about our CD? You can get our CD and it's only going to be available until...
Friday. Then it comes off the market. So if you want our best of CD, it's called Furry Up. That's because Sean's a furry. That's right. Yeah, that is why it's called Furry Up. He's a little fervert guy who dresses up in furry outfits, goes to conventions, has... Perverted sex. Whoa! That's what Sean does. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sean's a fervert. Man. It's really creepy. Gross, Sean. Yeah. Dresses like a skunk and what else? Like a rat. He's a panda and a beaver. A beaver. His girlfriend's a moose. She's a... What is she? Something like that. I don't remember. She's a cobra. It's weird. It's what a cobra sounds like. A cobra? Yeah, I don't think of... No, I don't know. All right, so before we went to break, we said, what would be on your bucket list? What's the stuff you want to do before you kick the bucket? I've said, it's up to me, I would run with the bulls. No. Do it. I want you to do so bad. I want to run. I want you to do that so bad. I want to run with the bulls.
That's fantastic. I'm so sick of hearing you say that. I support it. Let me tell you something. Last night we were watching National Geographic and they were showing these guys that were, they weren't skydiving, but they were doing something similar to skydiving. And I said, those guys are nuts. Why would anybody do that? That's the most ridiculous thing. Why would you put yourself in peril that way? I do not view running with the bulls even in the same neighborhood, let alone the same vicinity. Not even in the same city, those two things. Paradigm. To me. To me. I think running with the bulls is a safe thing as long as you're not right, you know, like right there at the back of the line. If you're towards the front and they open up the gates, you run. You run. You're not drunk. You run and you're not drunk. You make your way. Keep up with everyone, but especially be faster than the bulls, right? Yes, yes. That's what you're going to do. Yes, I am. And I'll tell you another thing. You. Yes. I believe that the people that don't make it are people that are drunk, those dummies. They're drunk. Okay, I just had a great idea. What? We have to have you do a local running of the bulls. I'm in. What? Just to warm you up. Warm me up. We've got to figure that out. I am in on that.
Are we talking real bulls? Yeah, well, yeah. Where are we going to do it? Oh, we can find a place. Well, we got to get 800 people to be there, too, so I can be on the front of the line. Is that what you're playing? That's my plan in Pampalona is I'm going to be in the front of the line. I'm not going to be right there by the bull. I'm telling you, it's the experience of running from those bulls. What if they catch up? What if they get them out? What if they buck people out of the way? Yeah, you're running way in front of them. I'm telling you, man. You're destroying me. You're destroying my running of the bulls. I'll do it. That's not really running of the bulls. We have to recreate Pampalona. I'm sure we can get enough P1s to come out. How about we get P1s? to dress like bulls and chase you around the building. Oh, I'd like it. That's probably a safer option. That'll do for sure. That'll do for sure. In fact, if you get Rob and Zeth to dress like bulls, I'll do it this week. Oh, there you go. I'm in. I'm in. You can videotape me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can videotape me. Oh, my God.
You know how the bulls, when they're going so fast around the corner, they slip? They're skinny. We can put slick shoes on them and have them chase you. You got to make it all the way around the building, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to put bananas around there. Banana peels. Yeah, banana peels. Oh, I love it. Yeah. I love it. Mikey's running with the bulls this week. Yes. Done deal. I love it. How ironic that Zeth was a bull furry for our Best of CD. I know it. That is totally ironic. I know it. All we need to do is just get a couple of them. Perfect. Yeah, where's the irony, really? I don't really know. Because he's going to be pretending he's a bull chasing you, and he was, in fact, a bull furry for our Best of CD. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's ironic. So, it's just like... Sounds like a coincidence. I think it's coincidental. The irony. Not really. Let's take a couple of calls from people. Let's go around the room, too. So, Eddie, what do you want to do? Well, I've always wanted to do this. Whatever you say, I'm making you do this week. Okay, this would be fine by me. I want to see a game in every NFL stadium. Oh, let's do it. I really want to do that. I'll do it with you. Dude, seriously, if you would, that'd be great. That's awesome. I've hit probably...
like five or six so far in my entire life. Yeah. And I want to cover the NFL. And I also want to go to like the big stadium, like Wrigley Field and stuff like that. If you were in the lottery, would that be your thing? Like you would do it for sure? Oh, I think so. That'd be pretty awesome. I think so. Because I mean, I would always travel with whatever team that I was into, you know, and go. Have you taken pictures of ones you've been at? Dude, we walked on the field at Three Rivers Stadium and don't have one picture of that. Dude, you laid on the field at Three Rivers Stadium. Field Angels, because me and Mikey snuck in there. At 12 o'clock at night. 12 o'clock midnight. It was a dream come true, because I was a huge Steeler fan when I was growing up as a kid. And I just wanted to see the stadium, and so we went there, and we snuck in, and got onto the field. It was awesome, but we had no cameras. So I have no pictures, no evidence of this. It sucks. So yeah, when I go and do this, I would have to take pictures. Skye, what would you do? There are three places I would travel to. Two of them, because they're my heritage, I want to go to Italy and I want to go to Ireland. I want to see both of those places. And then I would, you know, I'm terminally ill. Amopolis.
And I would. All roads lead to ham. And then I would end my trip. I like ham in Amsterdam. And smoke myself into a coma. Sky. I would. It's legal there. And I'm about to die. Hey, it's bad for you. I'm not saying it's not bad for you, but I'm about to die. Dude, I'm going for it. You want some Amsterdam kind weed. Oh, dude. Sean, what about you? What would be your bucket list? Travel? Travel? Like yours was crazy. Oh, you wanted to travel? Huh? Yeah, you wanted to travel to all the stadiums. I want to go to every single football stadium. That's a thing. Like traveling, everybody can travel. Yeah, I want to go to the place of my heritage and then I want to go and smoke myself in a coma. Oh, well, okay. Before she dies. Don't you judge my bucket list. I'm not that excited about your bucket list. I'm sorry. I'm not that excited about your bucket list. I think it's kind of lame. You could do that now. Why is that so difficult? It's difficult. That's a difficult thing. Friends in 08. Friends in 08. Friends in 08. It's your motto. Friends in 08. Go do that. You guys are supposed to be friends in 08. Yeah. Good luck. Yeah, you too. I hope you have a fun time. Sean, what would you do? Well, you know, I mean.
I would like to travel too, but you know how I'm into sort of offbeat sports. You have a legitimate thing. You want to go run with the Bulls. I have a goal. I want to hit every NFL stadium. I want to smoke myself into a coma. That is my goal. Really exciting. But you don't have to do that in Amsterdam. You could do that in Escondido. She has done that in Escondido. On multiple occasions. It's different. It's different. All right, Sean, what would yours be? So I like really offbeat sports. Right. And one thing that I would really like to do at some point, and I don't know if they would even let me, but I would really like to play murder ball. Yeah. I would really like to play murder ball. I think that would be so awesome. You're not in a wheelchair. That's why I say I don't think they would let me play, but I really would like to play. You can use your legs. I wouldn't. I would totally surround them together. We have to explain. There's another bit we've got to do. We've got to explain. Murderball is a game of rugby that guys play in wheelchairs that are disabled. It's awesome. That's what Sean wants to do. It's a tough sport. Their wheelchairs are like tanks, bro. They're specially built.
Yeah, and they've got metal plates on them. It's an awesome game. Sean, don't you think that you would get A, really hurt? Probably. And B, don't you think that you would come in contact with a lot of human beings? Yeah, for sure. But, I mean, I'm headed to the grave anyway. Right. That's a good way to go out. Yeah, I mean, just watching them. It looks like a lot of fun, first of all, but really thrilling as well. I love it, Sean. That's great. So much better than just traveling. friends in 08. I wasn't specifically talking about you. And you were. And it's messed up because I think your idea is totally lame, but hey, that's for you. You don't get it, so I'm alright with that. You know, Tom Cruise is into Scientology, you're into football. I'm into football. Wow, yeah. And I'm into weed. That's crazy. It's cool. Ashley, what would your bucket list item be? Travel. No, I don't really like to travel much. That's right, you don't like to fly. I hate to fly. It was
Go to sleep with the water on. Charlie did that shot. Legally. And cop to it. And what? Cop to it. What are the cops, Seth? Who called the cops? Anyway. Anyway, my bucket list would consist of being on the following shows. Oprah, Ellen, David Letterman, and I would also like to... Be on them? Wait a minute. You mean you would go see them taped? No, no, no. I would like to be a guest on another show. How do you pull that off? I've got a lot of ideas, and it's something that... You want to be a guest? Right. Yeah, and I've got...
tons of ideas of how I could do that. So I would just pick it in gear. Like if you're on Oprah. Oprah would be like the more serious cause. So I would do something really cool like I've been brainstorming if I ever was to make a bucket list. I'd like really go green and make a huge impact on like San Diego going green and then I'd like make a really cool videotape send it to Oprah to show what I did. And she would see it and be like hey I want to have it. Now you in San Diego have done a lot of work. You know put me on. But I mean it would just depend on the show. We were going to book Al Gore but I decided on you. Yes. I like it. And then what about Ellen? What would be your thing? With Ellen, it would be more silly. Flirt. Well, I don't know. That would probably help me out, actually. But I would make a cool video funny. I'd be like, Ellen, I'm a huge fan. And what do I need to do to get on your show? And I'd do some dorky, stupid stuff. But I'd make it funny, and I'd edit it really cool to show her that I would make a good interview. Why don't you do that now? Give it a shot. Well, I might. It's all up in the head. And then my other thing. Which I don't think can be on my bucket list. This is just the only thing that I want before I die. Go ahead, Ashley. It's just to fall in love. Yeah, that would be nice. Like in the movies. That would be nice. Where you're just in love for the rest of your life. Like the notebook. That's the kind of love I want to fall in love. The kind that doesn't exist?
I like to think it does. Sky and Bunny Boo. Yeah, but Sky and Bunny Boo aren't like that notebook love. That notebook love was fun. Dude, they are pretty darn close. No, no, no, no. They have an amazingly awesome relationship. That was a phony joke kind of love. Like, nobody dies at the same time. Oh, we will. Sky and Bunny Boo? She'll make him die with you, Johnny. She'll say... I've decided we're dying together. You're dying now. Die. Die, boo. Die. He's like, but what if... Just die. But I'm healthy. I'll help you with these gold bars. It is possible. I know it is. Embrace me. Die. Love me and then die. Boston Rob. Oh, boy. Here we go. Just get this one out of the way. I'd like to fall to socks for a season. That'd be cool. That's cool. I think that would be just so much fun. Like every game, bro? Every game. He would do it. Somehow travel with them. But wouldn't you be bored out of your mind? Who are you talking to? Dude, we're talking about 160-some games, man. Yeah, dude. He watches every game. If I could just do that.
On TV? Go to every stadium. It's like seventh inning in Florida on a hot day in Miami. I've been yelling at other people. There's like eight other people in the stadium, and you're like, I've been doing this now for 150 games. It would be so much fun. You've got to go to Tampa Bay for the eighth time during the season. You'd meet people along the way. It's game four in Tampa Bay. I would want to document the whole thing. Oh, forget it. Season six holders in Tampa Bay don't do that. No one goes to those games. I think it'd be fun. I got to go to Kansas City and watch the Royal game. Can you imagine the third Royal game on a Sunday in the summer and it's humid? Rookie pitcher. It's not even exciting. I bring a journal. Document it. What if, as usual, you guys are 18 games behind? Ah, yes. You had to do that. Because you haven't got to the playoffs yet. Another thing I really want to do is just backpack through Europe. Really? Yeah. Traveling. How about that? But I mean, like, kind of rough. That's cool, Rob. You know what I mean? Oh. You don't have to give Eddie the finger. That's a thing. That's a thing. I don't deserve it. I thought we were friends. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. That's something that he can't do. You ruined friends in a way. I did not ruin friends in a way. You did. I tried to be a friend.
Hang on. Rob can't backpack through Europe in Escondido. He can only backpack through Europe in Europe. in Amsterdam and smoked pot in Amsterdam. It's different than being here or whatever. If that's the deal, if the deal is that you want to go to Amsterdam because there's some special kind of marijuana. Well, there is. There is. And I want to see the place my family are from. But you're going to be so high that you're not going to know where you are. That's not true either. I'd go to Ireland and then Italy first and then I'd wrap up my trip. You could do that this year. That's the exact same as traveling through Europe. I'm too cheap. Same thing. If I'm going to die, I'll spend my money. Then it's not that big of a deal for you. What do you mean? No, it's a big deal. See, she doesn't like it. I see what you're saying. She doesn't spend money on anything. If it was that important to her, she should spend money to go to Italy or Ireland or whatever. Like, I don't get that. Well, isn't that like saying that we should all, if it's important, we should do it.
Well, you can't do yours because you don't have the time. I would love to. I would do it in a heartbeat if I was retired or whatever. I don't have the time either. To go on vacation? We all get time off. What do you mean? I'm not going to go for, you know, five days. No, that's like a waste. You can't go for seven days? That's a waste. No. What do you mean it's a waste? Yes. You're just making excuses. No, she's not. And it's the same exact thing as traveling, backpacking in Europe. That's the same exact thing as going to Ireland and Amsterdam. No, it is not. No, it is not. Way different. One is a vacation. Yeah. The other is like. experiencing life. Going to Ireland and Amsterdam and doing a trip like that is experiencing life. You don't have to do all those in one shot. Well, I would want to. I would want to go for months. Let me read some of these emails we're getting of some different bucket lists. Months, Eddie. Months. Mikey, I would like to sail the agency on a 60-foot catch with my girlfriend for two months and island hop around the Mediterranean. while selling honey-baked hams to the locals. Wow. That's from P1 Miller Time. Very nice. Very well done. Thank you, Miller Time. Zethi and Oates. Oh, hey. What about you? What would you do? What would be on your bucket list? What would you want to do before you die? I really want to... What? You didn't want to what? Sorry. Say again. Finally go. I've never said it before, but I'd really want to...
I lost that. I can relate to Ashley about love. I could go on Match.com. Match.com. What did you say? Didn't come through. I would finally like to meet up. Now you just stopped talking. If I fell in love, I would say to him. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. What happened? I knew it. What happened? What would you do? I would like to drive on the Autobahn with some crazy fast Ferrari Enzo or something like that. That'd be nice. That's cool, man. That'd be nice. Look at Eddie. He looks over at Scott. Sorry, Skye. 5701053. I didn't say that. Go on vacation. I'd like to go on vacation, Mike. 5701053. What would you do if you wanted to do stuff on your bucket list? I'd murder Eddie. What? The Mikey Show. That's the ultimate hang zone. All right. It's that time of year again. Zero Plus is back at your Jeep dealer. Hey, Mikey, I think Sky wanting to go to Amsterdam and get high for her bucket list is an awful idea. I thought she was some sort of role model until I heard that. Sky just saying no, warmly, Snoop Dogg. Oh, well, I don't think Snoop Dogg has any responsibility. A little bit of credibility there. So you should probably throw that one away.
Mikey, can you imagine how nasty B-Rob would stink if he was following the socks around? He would bring dirt back to an entirely new level. Going to Tampa Bay in the summer and not having showered for a few weeks. Nasty. He won Shion. Can you imagine that? How about Sean touring with him? Yeah. Eddie. I was wondering if you guys were going to make any kind of wager on the Patriots Chargers game. Signed P1 Undecided. Let's do it. What do you mean? I ain't betting on my team this game. What is that? Excuse me? You don't believe in them? Wow, I thought you supported the Patriots. What do you mean you're not going to bet on the game? You know how superstitious I am. But you've bet before? Yeah.
Yeah, too much at stake this time. But you're getting paid to work here. Yeah, what about that? Getting paid to work here. I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to do anything. Yeah, but I don't think you got the same superstitions as me. I don't think that... What are you superstitious about? Let's talk. I don't want to be betting on my team and having anything happen. It's the playoffs, dude. You don't want to be responsible for the loss. I'm very weird. Look how many years he was responsible for the Sox. I wasn't even alive all those years. It was just the thought of you coming to be was enough to have them lose for 86 years. You're a never-ending curse. So you're not going to do anything for the... No wager? Something fun, Rob. No big deal. Come on, dude. It wouldn't be fun. Well, are you going to do anything? I stress out enough during the games. Do a stunt. What kind of stunt do you want me to do? A Patriot stunt. Get shot in the face with a muzzle. Wait, what? Like a Patriot would have. Wait. Back in the day. That's a good point. We'll cut your head off like the Headless Horseman. Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. Yeah, you could say, you know, the British are here. I can't believe he's not going to bet. They're coming. Yeah, unbelievable.
Well, is it that you don't have faith in your team, Rob? That's not it at all. Then what's the big deal? Do you not understand what the word superstitious means? I do, but what are you superstitious of? See, I don't want to talk about it. This guy is unbelievable. I'm really, really weird when it comes to teams and the playoffs. Yeah, but you shouldn't say certain things when there's certain times of the season. Do a stunt. If you're not going to do a bet, do a stunt. Okay. Let's toss ideas around. Well, we can make him dress all in Charger gear all week long. Oh, yeah. Tattoo San Diego on his neck. Yeah, Charger stuff. We can bring that testicle thing that hits you in the testicles back in the studio. Oh, yeah. What was it called? The Nutcracker. Yeah, we've got to get the Nutcracker music. That's that Nutcracker music.
Look at you. We can make him read a list of things that would jinx the team. Oh, yeah. If you do a stunt, why don't we make a list of stuff and I'll just read a bunch of... You have to read a bunch of stuff of terrible things about the Patriots that will in effect jinx them. It's horrible karma for you guys, but I'm good. So you'll do that, but you won't make a bet? I'll preface things. He'll say things that will jinx his team. But he won't jinx the team, he says. Weird. Doesn't make sense. I'm not placing no bets on this weekend. Okay. No bets. No bets. No bets. No bets. No bets. No bets. Yeah, we're doing a lot of pressure over here, guys. I don't know what I'm responsible for. Of course, loss in the Patriots season. Checks come from the Patriots. I'm responsible for the losses over here. I'm the one that's got them here. We want to make sure that they continue on this team of destiny. Call them the Rob Patriots. Ooh, I like that. People are calling in with their bucket lists. P1 John? Yeah. What is yours? I ran with the Bulls.
Oh, you did do it? Yeah. Did you get gored? No, but my friend was in better shape than me did. Oh, he must have been drunk. A little bit. That's his thing. You know, if you drink, your chances go down. P1 Tran. Hey, what's up? My brother ran with the Bulls last year, and one of his friends actually got gored, too, but I wanted to do it, too. Was he drunk? That's your point, Mike. That's your point right there. What did he say? Everyone said this huge party the entire time. And so, like, there was just, like, no, you know, everyone was just wasted. So, I don't know. But I want to do it, too. All right. P1 Mimi. Hi there. Good morning. How are you? Love your cafe. How are you? Oh, fantastic. Very good biscuits. Oh, that's so good. I'd like to share my bucket list. Yeah, what would your bucket list be? would go to as many bathhouses as I physically could until I take the bucket. Wow, that is a hefty goal. Hey, listen, if you're going to die, the sky has a diagram of everyone in San Diego. I'll email you.
That's not true. I've never been to one. She'll take you on a personal guided tour. I've never been to one. Just your favorites. So good luck. That would not be on Sky's bucket list because she's already done that. Been there, done that. What's the point? Not true. So many times. Why would I want to skydive if I've already skydived? Not true. Why would I want to jacuzzi dive if I've already been to the jacuzzi club? You know, it hurts, but it feels so good. I'll say good goal. Not true. I know you'll like them. I love them. P1 Spider-Man? Hey, good morning, guys. Good morning. I'd love to punch Cher right in the mouth. What would you do? Punch Cher in the mouth. Wow. I could die happy about that. Why would you do that? Cher, Eddie. Good point. I didn't think of that. I didn't consider that. You forgot about that. P1 Tom. P1 Tom, I'm here. Yeah, go ahead. What would you do? I would go toe and serving up at Mavericks and Half Moon Bay. The place is called Mavericks? Yeah, it's a big world-renowned surf break. Yes, Mike. You're not in the surf community, but yes, I know. No, I'm not. It's common knowledge. Everybody knows it. It's common knowledge. Yeah. The swells are incredible. Yeah, like you can kill yourself if you're not a pro surf. Oh, for sure. Hello. Just saying, I've read about it. Duh. I've read about it. I'm sorry. Where did you read about it?
Surf as well. Yes, Surf Weekly. I just got my new issue. Surfing Inc. Just when there's stories about pro surfers and stuff. Ankle Slappers magazine. Ankle Slappers. That's another story. P1 Quimby is on the line. Hi. What up? Quimby, what would you do? Well, if I found out today that I had a terminal disease... I would get my dad, buy an RV, and go travel to every baseball stadium in the United States. Eddie, what do you think about that one? It's very similar to what I want to do, and I think it's fantastic. There you go. It's a good one, Quimby. Quimby, you're a genius. Quimby, it's a good one. Are you sure you don't want to go travel? She did. She said she wants to travel to baseball stadium. Right. Which is an actual thing to go do. Which is traveling. Other than vacation. Other than vacation. Which is traveling. Like what you want to do. I don't judge you, Quimby. This is your bucket list and I support you. And it's fantastic. P1TJ. I don't judge people. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good man. You don't. I like to go see the wonders of the ancient world. Oh, you really? Eddie won't allow it. That's cool. That's very cool. Seven wonders of the world. It's cool. Eddie won't allow it.
I like it. Thank you for the call. No problem. So, Boston Rob will not bet. So, what are we going to do? Are we going to have him do that thing where we have him read stuff? Sure, why not? Put together. He really does. I'm sick of that guy. He really does. Would Zeth do this to us? Probably. He'd freak out and start crying. Get scared. We're not going to do that either then. Good point. That's a good point. I was into it this time. I really would. I'm into a bet. I'm into doing something crazy. Well, yeah. This is a big deal. I think it's great. Clearly, they're a 14 and a half point favorite. Really? Yeah, New England's crazy. Well, they're 17 and 0 or whatever. Yeah, but I don't care. Why would you be willing to do it, Eddie? Anything. Humiliation. Dress me up like a whatever. Eddie, you're awesome. I'll do whatever. I don't care. Wow, you support your team. Way to step up, Eddie. That's a guy that believes in his team. I believe in that. That's a guy that believes in his team. I'm not worried about it. I'm not worried about it. Good, I'm glad you're not worried about it. Wait, wait, wait. What does that mean? He's saying he would never bet on his team? Is that what you mean? You would never? I'm not saying I would never, but there are certain circumstances where I'm not going to place a bet on my team because I don't want to have that responsibility. So you wouldn't do it in the Super Bowl. You wouldn't do it in the Super Bowl either.
That would be even worse to do it in the Super Bowl. So no playoffs, no Super Bowl. In the regular season, it's like, yeah, you can play. Come on, Rob. It's a team of destiny, man. You're like, they're guaranteed to win the whole thing, right? You know, I have a question. By not showing support for your team right now, aren't you jinxing them? How am I not showing support? I never even thought of that. You just jinxed the Patriots. You could be jinxing them by not doing it. They're going to lose now. Well, you know that if Tom Brady were standing around and you said, hey, man, I mean, should I? Should I take it? Tom Brady would say, of course you do. Yeah, we got this, man. We got to do. Go ahead. I think Sean's right. Anything can happen. You guys are ridiculous. You jinxed your team, bro. You guys are out of control. Remember that year that the Bengals looked real good and then Carson Palmer got that torn ACL in the first play of the game? It happens. Remember that? It happens. I bet you a Cincinnati fan said the same thing Rob did. You guys, this really sets Rob. Cincinnati fan back in the day said, sorry, won't bet on my team. Yeah, and then... Yeah, thanks. He really affects his personal life. It does. I'm serious. It actually does. Like, come on, guys. All he's got is that dude in the mirror to blame for that one. That's true. Yep. Sure. After I had first signed up for AIS about six months ago, I called back with the insurance company that I originally had to see if I can get a better deal now that I had a quote from AIS. They basically told me no. And about two months later, I got the gift card in the mail. And so I called them up to see why they had sent me a gift card. And they said it was from somebody I referred. And they told me the name of the person. I didn't recognize the name at all. They said her name was Amy. And he's like, I don't know an Amy. And finally, she mentioned off the cuff that she just happened to work for the insurance company. I had called to get a better quote from AIS.

That's what I'm saying, Eddie. KIOZ, San Diego's Rock. Something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. You know, if I were to get tattoos, I would never get any girl's name anywhere on my body. You never know what happens. Look at all the celebrities, too, that it hasn't worked out for. Skye's an exception to the rule. She's got the word bunny boo covering her entire chest. But not a lot of people do that and, you know, have it work out. Skye. You know where the little ears are.
That's right. Those are ears? Yeah. Well, it was supposed to be. It kind of went wrong. Yeah, it was good in concept. Because they used to stand up. Floppy ears now. Yeah, now they're like the floppy bunnies. I was Dumbo when I first... Wait a minute. Hey, guys. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back. It's 8-19. Yesterday, the judge in the Britney Spears case left the current ruling against Britney in effect, meaning that she has no visitation with her boys. The Colts head coach, Tony Dungy, is supposedly going to make a decision about his future this week. Ab yesterday, downtown. Did you guys hear about this? Yeah. Downtown San Diego, a guy got stabbed in the chest, his face, and police are trying to find the attacker. They're asking for our help. Yeah, well, and this guy himself isn't helping.
It happened on West Broadway a little bit after 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. And, you know, when he was admitted to the hospital, you know, the hospital called the police and the police showed up and he won't help. He won't give a description, won't say anything. I bet that's gang stuff then. Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me. They usually don't want to say if it has anything to do with a gang. No, you don't snitch, Mike. Clinton and Obama are saying, okay, we're not going to talk about race from this point on. We're really going to shy away. It's all about this Martin Luther King thing, which I think is so dumb in the first place. It was, I believe, is this the Clinton thing where Bill Clinton said it was a fairy tale when he talked about...
Well, everything I read was Hillary Clinton saying that it took President Lyndon Johnson to finally realize Martin Luther King's dream of racial equality by Johnson signing the Civil Rights Act. See, Obama will evoke Martin Luther King. They'll talk about him and say stuff that Martin Luther King has said. And in this campaign rally that Hillary Clinton was holding, She said something to the effect of that it was Martin Luther King that came up with these brilliant ideas, these great ideas. But that it was the result of... I don't know that it was Lyndon Johnson. Well, that's what it says right here. I don't think that that's what she said. I think she gave someone else's name of a particular legislator. Because I just heard it again. Oh yeah, because everywhere, I've read it like four different places and it always talks about her saying Johnson signing the Civil Rights Act. But maybe she said multiple names. Maybe she talks about a couple people. In the clip that I, in the very specific clip that I saw, I thought she mentioned a specific legislator. She kind of, yeah. And it was, and I don't think, I mean, maybe she does talk about Johnson at some point. Definitely. The one that I saw, she's talking about a specific legislator that put these ideas
into effect or whatever but i don't get that like what i don't either like why why lessen the impact that martin luther king did well and that's what the obama camp is saying you're kind of diminishing what martin luther king did and then hillary saying no you're twisting what i'm saying yes it's great that everybody has these ideas but it does take politicians and you know legislation to actually turn these ideas into a reality who cares so why say that it's her point I can do that. You can't. Who cares? He said, she said. You're twisting this. Race, race, race. Do a little he said, she said. That's right. I don't know. I don't know for that reason. Talk about an inappropriate time. It's a catchy song. Tonight in Michigan, Hillary's the only Democrat on the ballot. Well, the only major Democrat. I mean, you know, there is Dennis Kucinich and Mike. Why? Well, so Obama and Edwards said that they will not be on the ballot because Michigan broke the National Party rules by having their primary moved up to an earlier date than had been planned. It was supposed to, you know, supposed to be in February. So they're asking voters to mark uncommitted on their ballot. I don't really understand, but okay.
There's something to it. Fight the man. There's something to it. There's something to the uncommitted thing. It forces something at, right before they make a nomination, it forces something. It's a real smart move on Obama and Edward's part. Oh, it is? But it's specific. I've got to look into it. Yeah, I don't know either. MySpace says they're going to make site changes. They're going to make it safer for kids. Yeah. So some of the new measures that MySpace has agreed to is they will have they'll allow parents to submit their kids email addresses to MySpace. So it would stop anyone from misusing the address to set up like phony profiles. They'll make a default setting of private for 16 and 17-year-old users. If they get a complaint, they'll respond within 72 hours, whether it's inappropriate comments or whatever, and they're going to devote more staff to looking into that and looking at...
pictures and group discussions on their site. They're going to strengthen software to find underage users to make sure everything's appropriate. And then they also say they're going to create a high school section for users who are 18 years old or, you know, under. I don't know if people knew this, but, you know, Oprah Winfrey, she's pretty much widely regarded as America's favorite TV star. And she is not anymore. She's been kicked out of the Americans' favorite TV star, like, title. Yeah. Harris does a poll every year, and, you know, that's kind of looked at as the standard for America's favorite TV show. The last five years, Oprah had it, and not so much anymore. Oh, no. Who do you think it is, Andy? Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell? Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell.
It's Ellen Degenerate has replaced her now as America's favorite TV star. I knew it. My wife loves her. She's great. My wife's bucket list would be to see the Ellen show taped. She wants to do that so bad. I heard it's so fun. To be there? Yeah. Dancing. What an experience. Totally, because they make you dance for so long. Oh, like the audience has to dance too? Yeah. Oh, like... forever too because oh my wife must not know that because like um your wife absolutely knows that if she watches ellen because everyone's dancing and clapping in the crowd you're telling me that my wife would be willing to get up and dance all she would have to do is kind of clap and sway if you want to you can get really into it it's up to you really yeah Yeah, maybe she would clap and sway. But I heard they get the audience going for like an hour before the show even starts and everyone's dancing and music. That sounds like hell. Do you guys want to guess the rest of the list? I have the top ten. We know Ellen's one and Oprah's two. There's ten talk show hosts out there right now? No, it's favorite television star. Oh. It's not, yeah, it's not your talk show host. Mr. T. Simon Cowell. Kelly Ripa. Kelly Ripa. Kathy Lee. Give us one more, Sky. Okay, I'll give you number three, Jay Leno. David. David. Letterman. David Letterman. Oh, no, no, Brian. Oh, no. Jamie. Oh, she's so funny. Chelsea Handler is funny. Doubtful. Great Sean E. Terrible Sean E. Mikey Show. Oh, Sean. Kim Kardashian. Eat your tongue, bro. Yeah, eat your tongue, Sean. Wow, gladly. What? Mikey Show. Yeah, how about a cherry shibo? Oh, Ashley. How dare you, sir? Ashley, why didn't you tell him to say that? Sir, that's really offensive. I don't know that anyone would go there on this show. Mikey Show. Eva Longoria. Mikey Show. SJP. Eddie Asner. Pat Sajak. Eddie Asner. Santa White. I don't understand the list. I don't think I understand it. Bobby Newhart. Drew Carey. I do have to apologize. What are you doing? You are the worst person on earth. You are so adorable. You ever figure it out? Eddie.
Well, so this list comes in some prep I got. It's from 2004. She's the worst. And I went to put the numbers next to it, like number one, number two, so it would be easier for me to see their rankings. Right, right, right. And there were only nine, even though they're supposed to be ten. Mike! So I Googled it, found the list in another spot. They left number six off the list, which is David Letterman. Oh, you are the worst! So whoever guessed that, I apologize. Who can't you ever figure it out, man? You're forgiven, Scott. Thank you, Ashley. Homer Simpson. Homer Simpson's number 10. Put it on the board. Put it on the board. Put it on the board. Hannah Montana. Peter Griffin. Stewie. Yeah. Stewie. Tom Brady. Somebody from CSI. Alf. Norman Fell. The guy from House. Hugh Laurie. Number seven is Stephen Colbert. Stephen Colbert. Stephen Colbert. What about Stephen Colbert? Stephen Colbert. And number eight is Bill O'Reilly. Oh, get out of here with Bill O'Reilly. Bill O'Reilly? Don't give us Bill O'Reilly. Why did you say that? And number nine, Ray Romano. That's a lot. Oh, I know. Sorry, Mike. But people love him so much. Sorry, Mike. God, your list is horrible. It's a bunch of BS. Unbelievable. Wow. You should go to Amsterdam. Have you ever had a cell phone mishap? Oh. Yeah. Well, shopping is improving in some spots, but still pretty tough in others. We have another accident, North 163, here through Balboa Park, right around Washington. That's why you're seeing all those brake lights on the approach there. Getting past that a little farther up in Kearney Mesa on this 805. There's another accident on the transition ramp here to eastbound. Make that northbound 805. More brake lights around that as well. Things are improving out of the South Bay. They're on the 805 northbound. In fact, you'll find a nice ride until you get out of Mission Valley. Once you get up the hill into Kearney Mesa, that's still pretty tough up towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. The westbound 8 ride, that is looking better here. Just a bit of delay from the 805 and towards Texas Street.
West 94, that's still a bit tough, though, from Euclid into downtown. That's because that 5 freeway is still busy coming into downtown past the airport in the Mission Bay. Westbound 52, still finding brake lights toward the 15, and then again right underneath that 805 freeway in through San Clemente Canyon. Things looking much better out of the Escondido area. South 15, good to go all the way until you have a brief delay in the Poway. And the coaster ride, Southbound 5, that's still a bit of a struggle from La Costa, pretty solid, all the way down to Loma Santa Fe Drive in Savannah Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence. I'm Rock 105.3. Let me explain to you that AMCO does transmissions, oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, cooling systems. They do all the stuff on your car that you may have an issue with, especially if right now you've got that engine light on. Take it down to AMCO, and they will diagnose it for free. That is the cool part. AMCO honors almost all extended warranties. They've been in business since 1964. They're the world's biggest transmission place. They do complete car care there. Their technicians can rebuild entire transmissions. They know their stuff. Go in and talk to an AMCO today. They're like the scientists that created the $6 million man. Yeah. They can rebuild it. They can, man. They know what they're doing. Your car will be like Steve Austin. Yeah.
They'll take it. They'll turn it into the $6 million car. That's rad. It'll be great. Go on in there today. It's Amco, double A, M-C-O. In case you missed it, this is a Mikey moment. Who's the weirdest person you've ever dated? P1 Caitlin. Pay attention. Hoping it'll go away. Look at it. Don't give him a chance. Welcome back. It's eight point. Look at it. What else can happen? They're getting real weird about it. PB is unreal now. I don't even care about it. Like alcohol. Ladies, there's a boobs band in PB now. Everyone.
It's a big sausage party. That's right. Everyone will be arrested. Arkansas star tailback Darren McFadden declares for the NFL draft could be the number one overall pick. Welcome back to the show. We're doing a little segment that we do that is all about when you are getting calls from people that you didn't exactly expect to get calls from or you call somebody on mistake when you didn't mean to call them. Oh, here we go. Oh, yeah. I texted my girlfriend. Uh-oh. Get out of here. I got that info on Jamie Lynn Spears coming up here in just a second. Before we went to break, I told you. Jamie Lynn Spears' boyfriend broke up with her, and I'll tell you why. It's pretty intense.
And that's coming up in just a minute. But First Cell Phone Mishaps is where you call us and you tell us, what happened to you? Did you accidentally call someone? You didn't mean to. Maybe your cell phone was in your pocket and you have pre-programmed numbers in there and you accidentally called someone and stuff was said. And you didn't mean for them to hear it, but they did. Or the opposite. Maybe they called you and you heard stuff that you weren't supposed to hear, but you did. Let's see. P1 Brian. Yeah. What's up, dude? Hey, not much. Not much. What did you do? Well, it ended up costing me a lot of money, actually. I put an ad in a paper to sell this old Chevy Geo I had. Yeah. You know, they're a real piece of crap. Like economy cars from the late 80s. Right.
And I had put in an ad to sell the thing, and everybody was telling me, oh, you've got to ask for more than it's worth, you know. So I put $1,000 on top of what the blue book was saying. Wow. Yeah, so I just threw it out there. It's like, you know, we'll see, you know. So, you know, I was going to lower it after like a week, you know. So anyhow, I paid for the ad and stuff like that, and I gave them my cell phone number. So anyhow, I'm sitting down to dinner with a friend of mine, you know. We're screwing around and drinking and phone drinks. really, really hot girl called me. I don't know what she looked like, but she sounded hot. Yeah. And she's, like, very interested in the car, and she's willing to pay the full amount that I put on there, you know? Yeah. She wants it. Right. So I'm like, okay, you know, I set up time to meet her and shore the car and everything, and I go and put the phone down. I said goodbye and all that stuff, put the phone down, and I go back to talking to my friend, and I'm like saying, dude, you won't believe it. You know, he's the guy who told me to put the money on there, and he's laughing his ass off that somebody wants to pay for this car, you know, the $1,000 over the blue book. Right. And I'm talking to you, and I'm talking to you, and I look down, and my phone's still, you know, like how it gives you the time, that length of your call. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're running.
So it's just ticking away, and I'm like, oh, no. So I, like, pick it up, and I'm like, oh, hey, sorry, I didn't hang up on you, you know, or whatever. And she goes, I heard everything you say. If it's not worth that much, I'm not paying it. Oh, dude. Yeah, she just read me the right act like I was a big liar. Yeah, that's karma. So true. So she listened to the whole thing. You blew it. Wow. All right, dude, thank you. That's a good one. That sucks. P1, Amy. Yes. Amy, what happened to you? Well, this is a story for anybody that has kids can kind of relate to. I was having a dinner party, and it was for people that had kids, and I have a little girl, and she accidentally had called 911 without me knowing on my cell phone. And they were just sitting there. 911 was sitting there on the phone. And my friend... who also has a little girl about the same age, she was two at the time, was relaying a really scary story about her little girl that had happened about six weeks before. And she had swallowed a balloon, which is really dangerous. Yeah. And they had to call 911, and she was lifelighted. And what the... 911 didn't get the part of the story that it...
had happened six weeks prior. They were thinking it was happening right now. So they think that the little girl swallowed a balloon and you guys are freaking out. Right. They're thinking it's happening right now. No way. So they somehow get that it's happening now. And I didn't realize that they can trace cell phones. I didn't know that cell phones are traceable. They show up on my doorstep. This would make a great episode of Three's Company, by the way, because it was just all big misunderstanding. Firemen, everybody, ruined my dinner party. They pumped Jack's stomach. Exactly. They're like, where's Chrissy? Where's the balloon? Needless to say, it's a story for my daughter when she gets older. That's a good one. Thank you very much. I appreciate the phone call. That's P1 Amy. That was definitely an episode of Three's Company right there. My daughter called, didn't know, whatever. Jack came to Larry accidentally dialed the phone. P1 Seth, what's going on? Good. So this was a few years ago. I can't really take credit for the story. It didn't happen to me. I'm not the one that made the call. But my buddy and I were in his car, and he wanted to call his wife. And for a while, he had been, you know, assuming that his wife was cheating on him. He was a real insecure type of guy. But he called his wife.
and uh he was on speakerphone well she answered and she's like hold on a second i'm on the other line so she thinks she clicks over and she gets back on the phone and she says uh babe and uh my buddy's like yeah and uh she goes sorry that was my husband and uh you know so he's like um okay that you know this is dave and she's like oh oh you know she got real quiet and So that just added fuel to his fire and all of his assumptions about her cheating on him. Yeah. Long story short, yeah, she actually was cheating on him, and she was on the phone with the guy that she was cheating with. Oh, that's not good. No. That's not good. Hey, man, thanks for the call, dude. Yep, thank you. See, you guys, that's the thing I'm talking about. Yes. You know what I'm talking about? Yes, yes, yes. If you want Jeremy. Hey, what's up, guys? What did you do? Me and a buddy went to a concert and got... real, real drunk on a Wednesday nap, and we both were delivering beer for the same company, and we were both going to call in, secondly, voicemails, so we didn't have to call in in the morning. It was about 2.30 in the morning. I call in, you know, oh, man, I'm not going to make it. I got the flu, whatever. I hang up the phone. I turn to my friend. I'm like, hey, I didn't sound drunk, did I? He goes, no, you sounded fine. I look back, and the phone's still on. And I could have erased the message, but I panicked and hung up, and I couldn't erase the message. You're smart. Dude.
Hitting me of stupid. Yeah, did you get fired? No, you know what? They never said anything to me. I think what happened is I think they listened to the message and heard, hey, I'm not coming in. Just got mad and hung up. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. They heard the end of the message because nobody ever said anything to me about it. Oh, wow. Maybe they just didn't care. Wow. Thank you for the call. Thanks. Cell phone mishaps, man. They'll get you in trouble. Eddie, you seen that American Gladiators yet? It may be my new favorite show. Really? Are you serious? Oh, come on. Oh, no. Hey, could it get worse for this kid and that family? Dude. I mean, could it get worse? Wow. Yeah. A source tells in Touch Weekly that, you know, his name's Casey, that he doesn't want to be with Jamie Lynn until he's sure that he's the father and that they both admit that they had strayed from the relationship. Oh, my God. But that they're young kids, so it's not like, you know. She's 16, Skye. What do you mean they're young kids? Well, that's what the source that they talked to was saying. Like, hey, they were young. It's not like they were a married couple. So they were kind of doing what I guess this person believes all young kids do. I know you were 13 when you lost. I was not 13. I was not. My bad. My mistake. Are you on birth control? No. Three quarters. Neither have those ages. Nearly 10. Whatever. billboards with a picture of that wanted Marine are going up in three cities. You know, the guy that killed the pregnant girl? Oh, yeah. He's their superior. Yeah. And they found her charred remains and the remains of the child, her unborn child, they found him. And so now they're looking for this guy and they've got billboards up of him in three different cities. Yeah, in Tampa, Columbus, and Las Vegas. And a $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to his arrest. Wow. Yeah. A couple of...
dozen people in texas have reported seeing a ufo in stephenville texas again yeah but it's a whole bunch of people that are reporting lots of people um Most of the reports came in on January the 8th, and they report seeing a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. One week ago today. Yeah. When a military spokesperson was asked about it, he said that he's 90% sure that it was an airliner because with the sun's angle, it can play tricks on you and make it... But when we took a trip down to Stephenville ourselves, we found out that many of the locals that we've talked to have been seeing things like this there for a long, long time. As a matter of fact, I was actually taken up into a spacecraft while I was there. My anus was examined with a probe. Did they find anything? Well, turns out the alien that was working on me said...
When's the last time you were checked for prostate cancer? Oh, yeah. Sounds like a doctor. I said I didn't remember, and as it turned out, I didn't have prostate cancer, although I did have alien polyps that were placed here. What are you talking about? That's the worst. Really weird. In that day in Stephenville, Texas. That is the worst. Who let you do this voiceover? I don't remember. That doesn't sound like a... Airplane to me. No, yeah. You know, one person says he saw a flat metal object hovering about 300 feet over his pastor. And, you know, of course. Over his pastor. So his pastor is standing out there. They're doing church. They're having church. And they're 300 feet. The field. The field. Over. The field. Over this holy man. What a UFO. He said pastor. Pastor. So over this particular pastor. No, the pastor. No.
Did he abduct the pastor? The feel. The feel. Old Pastor Johnson. You know what I mean. So I said to the pastor, amen. And away flew the UFO. Strange. So, uh, no. Touche. Ah, pastor. I don't think it's like a spaceship from outer space myself. What do you think? Weather balloon. Some military, I think. In fact, the article, I read that this guy said that he saw it being followed by a couple of jets. Santa Claus. Military jets. Some people did report seeing fighter jets chasing it. That's how they describe it. Whoa, I believe it. Maybe it wasn't fighter jets. Maybe it was alien stuff that was chasing it. I believe they're UFOs. You believe it from outer space? Yeah, but I believe that they're friendly. Why do you believe that they're from outer space?
Because of all the evidence over the time. What did that mean? What do you mean by that? Well, one time my ex-boyfriend showed me this really big book because he is a really big believer in aliens and UFOs. And he showed me this really big book. It was called X-Men. And he was teaching me about that story of all those. And the pictures. And he showed me. And it was some very serious evidence. It's called Mutants, Mike. Yeah. You might try looking into Amazon.com sometime. It's a good book. It's a good read. I can't remember the name. I can't remember the name. Just type in Big Book UFO. Something about a pastor in there. Yeah, Pastor Big Book with the plane. Hey, man, those pictures are real, though. Sky said that there's a study out that has determined that people support the idea that if you pay more for something, that you'll buy it. Now, they did this study on wine. And what they did was they gave people wine, and it was of varying values.
But if people thought that it was expensive, it tasted better to them. Yeah, researchers at Stanford found that the more a wine costs, the more people like it. They say that expectations of quality can trigger... Not necessarily. Yeah, that's not necessarily true. I love the box wine. Well, I mean, that's you, but you know. It's delicious. The majority of the better. But the majority of people. Oh, that's a good month. Ah, delicious Boone's Farm. Can I give you a headache, Rob? Smell that brilliant bouquet. Ah, very strawberry-like. Hmm. Hmm. Tastes like, uh, pear. Okay. Notes of pear and citrus. Yes. Notes of Bartles and James. Oh, lovely. Well, they do say that expectations of quality trigger a part of the brain that registers pleasure. I believe it. Hint of cardboard in there. I think it probably works with everything, too. Not just wine. I think if people pay more for anything, they think it's a little bit better. Clothes. Yeah, I totally agree with that. Yeah, clothes are a perfect example. It's not necessarily the most expensive stuff, but if it's a designer thing, then charge you $300 for it.
So, Eddie, tell me about that American Gladiator show. Oh, so good, dude. It's really the exact same show from the 80s, the show that I used to love. I was surprised. I thought it was going to be way different. There's a lot of cheeseball factor in it. Like what? The contestants are really prepared. You know, like they have all these real cheese ball lines. Like, you know, I'm going to put Wolf in the kennel. Oh, boy. Junk like that, which is really cheesy to me. But I don't care. I love it. Like, the events are fun, kind of funny. And I'm really into it. Like, there's certain... that i like more than others so these are got so okay so the people that are competing on the show that go on the show are they like big muscle heads and stuff like that they're actually not they're more athletes more like triathletes yeah you know stuff like that you know really in shape people but the people they're going the actual american gladiators are muscle heads yeah big time and they don't even really have to be muscle heads because they're i've seen a couple puny people but they're quick you know or it depends on what advantage they might have you know eddie said they weren't muscle
heads, that they were just people that are really... No, but you were saying that they were really fit and in shape, and there's some really puny, not necessarily strong people. But they're in shape. They're quick, you said. You said they're quick. Like they're petite. Right, right, right. What about the chicks? What are you talking about? What about the chicks? Same thing. I think they're athletes, former athletes, stuff like that. Ashley, could you do it? I think I could hang in there all right. But the part that I could not definitely do at all is the end challenge. It's crazy challenging. What's the thing?
It's called the Eliminator. It's like an obstacle course. Not really. But it's the obstacle course from hell. Yeah. You know, where they're swimming underwater, climbing up these cargo ropes. They got to do this thing called the bicycle, the hand bicycle thing. Oh, that's crazy. Hand bike where they're hanging on this thing and they got to crank themselves, dip their own body weight all the way across. Nobody's ever able to do it. They always fall off. So, I mean, it's just great though. I love it. What about the American Gladiators themselves? Do they do the same exact thing? No. They compete in every event but that last event. That last event is the two competitors going against each other. Each of them have their own character. One's called Titan and one's called Wolf. He's got this whacked out wild hair and howls and junk like that. Talk about Helga, dude. Helga. Oh, it's great. I guess there was a lot of controversy in the original American Gladiators. Really? Maybe these are new people, because it says former American Gladiators, so I don't know if they mean on this new one or an old one. Do you know an Ice and Tower? Yeah, they were old ones. Old Gladiators. Okay, well, apparently Ice was gay and didn't talk about it. Cut 15. I've been gay since I was 18 years old. Oh, my God.
I don't believe it. Lori Patrick, a.k.a. Ice, was one of the most popular female gladiators. Now in a committed 11-year relationship, Ice reveals to us, for the first time publicly, how her sexuality was kept secret until now. That's something that, I mean, when I was on the gladiators, no, I never talked about because I was in the height of my thing. And you can't talk about it just like everybody says right now. You can't talk about being gay when you're in your height of your glory. The height of your thing. Okay. P1 red leaders on the line. Hey, Mikey, did anybody watch the new Terminator show? Dude, I watched five minutes of it. Thought it was lame. Didn't watch any more of it. I watched it. Sean watched it. Sky loved it. It's really good. Yeah, it's really good. Yeah, I watched the first two nights, and I'm kind of out on it. It's a little far-fetched to me. Well, you got to throw Sean's out, because you know Sean likes everything. So you're telling me robots taking over the world is a little far-fetched for you? Yeah, whatever. Well, the fact that they're jumping from year to year to year, and... stuff hidden everywhere have you ever seen quantum leap dude what they jump from year to year yeah in the first episode like it shows them in 1999 and they're doing their whole thing you know and then all of a sudden um they need to go find skynet you know because they like killed the skynet guy but then skynet pops up again that's my computer browser skynet nice so they so they jump in time
They hid parts to this thing, and then they jump in time to 2007. They go to a bank that has security boxes that they set up back in the 30s. Well, it was 1965, but okay. Close. Or the 60s. Why are we having her describe it? Might as well be. I mean, it's the same thing. And they jump to the future, dude. That's dumb. That's awesome. It's not awesome. It's way awesome. It's not awesome. So Terminators can come from the future, but then they can't jump around time when they're here. It had nothing to do with the Terminator movies, though. Skynet doesn't have anything to do with it. No, jump time travel. They didn't do that. So the Terminator didn't come from the future in the movies. Yeah, that's the future, not 1999 or 1965. Don't forget, guys. Friends in 08. I can't say it for 08. Oh, no, dude. So we were talking about this earlier, but Tom Cruise apparently... had this nine-minute-long video that was on YouTube. They've now yanked it. It's been yanked off YouTube. And right now there's this guy that's written a book about him that's very scandalous, that says a lot of scandalous stuff about him and Scientology and stuff like that. Yeah, it's a new book that's out that a lot of people are saying that Tom Cruise might sue over because it's so... I mean, it says a lot of outrageous things, including that maybe...
Suri is not Tom Cruise's real child. And it came from sperm from L. Ron Hubbard, the inventor of Scientology. And so it makes a lot of these really crazy claims. Well, Tom Cruise was in this video that was on YouTube that's been yanked. And I haven't seen it. I've only listened to it. And we're playing clips of it because we've got clips. We got these clips before it was yanked off YouTube. You have to admit, the video itself is a little bit strange. Cut nine. A Scientologist can be defined by a single question. Would you want others to achieve the knowledge you now have? In answering that question, Tom Cruise has introduced LOH technology to over one billion people of Earth. And that's only the first wave he's unleashed. Which is why the story of Tom Cruise, Scientologist, has only just begun. LOH technology? What does that mean? Is that like LOL? Yeah, maybe it's laugh out loud technology. Oh, it could be. Well, anyway, so in this video, he's talking about all kinds of things. But one of the things that he's talking about is, first of all, the whole reason that he's doing the video is for something called the Freedom of Metal Valor.
And it's an award given to Scientologists. Cut one. I think it's a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist. And it's something that you have to earn. Because a Scientologist does. Or she has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and you know absolutely that you can help them. Well, one of the things that he talks about is it came out on the news not too long ago that him and Katie Holmes are driving by in a Humvee. their Hummer, and they saw somebody broken down on the side of the road, and they helped them. Cut to. Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident, it's not like anyone else. As you drive past, you know you have to do something about it, because you know you're the only one that can really help. But that's what drives me, is that I know that we have an opportunity to really help.
for the first time, effectively change people's lives. And I am dedicated to that. I'm absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that. Now, this next part, he talks about something called an SP. It stands for Suppressive Person. And in the world of Scientology, that is the enemy. The enemy of a Scientologist is an SP. Suppressive person. So here, he's being asked, hey, have you ever come in contact with an actual SP? Cut five. They said, SP? And I thought, what a beautiful thing, because maybe one day, it'll be like that. You know what I'm saying? Maybe one day, it'll be that. SPs, they'll just read about those in the history books, you know? The thing is, I just go through that tech, and it's literally, it's not...
I wonder if Katie Holmes talks about any of it. It sounds like, I mean, it's a big deal for him, so she's got to know about it and hear about it. You know, Letterman had her on the other night. Boy, if he had rocks, he'd say, so what's the deal? You know, tell me, are you into it? I just, I'm wondering if you are Scientologist, do you understand what he's talking about? Because I don't get what he's talking about. We finally are able to help people now. Why now? And they're the only ones that can help. Why? Why are you the only ones that can help? They're the only ones that can help people that are broken down on the side of the road, he said. I want to know why. Why can't I help that person? What's the deal with that?
And then Tom is saying, like, I've dedicated my whole life to doing this, but isn't this the first time, like, we've reported in the news that he helped someone on the side of the road? Like, I don't think that it's a pattern that we've noticed that he's, like, going above and beyond. Like, Brad Pitt is, like, in New Orleans. I don't necessarily think. Well, Katie Holmes does not talk about it very much. No. You know, I don't never hear Katie Holmes talking about Scientology, and you know she's got to be Scientology, right? She's probably not allowed. Mikey Show, who's this? This is P1 number three. What's up, dude? LRH. Oh, yeah, yeah. LRH Technologies. What is that? It stands for L. Ron Hubbard Technology. The guy craves... Okay, got it, got it. Yeah, and I think the reason why he's dropping that knowledge on us and how this is the year to save is because it's the lunar year of the ham. Oh, it's the lunar year of the ham. Sky, how did you not even find that information? Why don't you tell us these things? This guy's been withhamming that information the whole time we've been on the air. Thank you, dude. I hate to bring some drama to the class. Thank you very much. Mikey Show. Hey, V-Rob, P1 Pool Boy. I know why Tom Cruise thinks he's the only one who can help people. I actually know a little bit about Scientology. Go ahead. Basically, like, they believe that a long time ago an alien conqueror had brainwashed alien enslaved souls. And then...
sent them to Earth to be destroyed in a Hawaiian volcano. And when their souls escaped, he realized that they were no longer in prison. So he had to build these giant spaceship-looking things that collect the souls and then brainwash them. And then those souls sort of bounce around on Earth and then went inside of people. And when they were inside of people, then we were brainwashed into believing in Jesus, into believing that we were cavemen, into believing that dinosaurs exist. And so when he talks about, and that he's the only person who can pretty much bring that reality to people. He's talking about making them realize that our whole world is a facade and we've all been brainwashed into believing this reality and that the real reality is we're all alien souls, galaxies and galaxies away, that we're all sent here by a universal conqueror. Now, the guy that came up with that was L. Ron Hubbard, and so...
Now, why don't they let people, like, why don't they talk about that openly? The reason is, is because obviously they would be seen for the cult that they are. I mean, I'm probably going to get sued for saying that right now. So please, you know, keep this confidential. Keep it confidential. You're on the radio, bro. You're on the radio, bro. I didn't know B-Rob put me through. This is Mikey. I didn't know B-Rob put me through. Oh. Oh, shoot. There's a lot of things about it, and I grew up Catholic, and one of our studies was we always studied other religions and other cultures, and, well, I mean, it's a really bad situation for anyone to put themselves in, and Tom Cruise talked about it as being an alternative to psychology, and that was just to defend that if you can't face your own reality, which is the reality we all live in,
then obviously there's this alternative of believing in that you're a space alien from another planet and you've been enslaved. And I think the only way he could escape is, and that's all it is, it's an escape for rich people. You can afford to believe it. There you go. I think that's all it is. All right, well, thank you for the call. Again, tweets their own. Believe in what you want. Some people think a virgin birth with somebody that died and arose from the dead is crazy, too. Yeah, I mean, and I said that the other day. I mean, they were asking Will Smith about his friend Tom Cruise. And that's what he said. He said, who am I to say that somebody's crazy if I believe in a virgin birth? And exactly, you know, so I'm not, I'm certainly not here to judge Tom Cruise. But it sounds whacked. Well, one thing that I will tell you about it is, I want to know, what is he talking? I just want to know what he means. Wouldn't you love to just sit him down right now and just pick his brain? And not be glib about it? Don't go away. This guy's got new releases. They're coming up next. You sound like whining little kids. This is The Mikey Show.

Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. What would be on your bucket list? What's the stuff you want to do before you kick the ball? Sky, what would you do? Three places I would travel. I'm formerly ill. Marpolis. And I would... All roads lead to ham. And then I would end my trade like Amsterdam. And the Mikey show continues on the rock. Welcome back. It is 930. MySpace has reached an agreement to change the site to help prevent sexual predators. All right. A little injury update on the banged up chargers. Looks like Phillip Rivers has a sprained right MCL. That's along with his sprained left MCL. He's day to day. LT has a hyper extended left knee.
Probably will return to practice maybe tomorrow, maybe Thursday. Antonio Gates still has that hurt toe, but says he feels the same as last week, so I'm guessing that means he's going to play. Wow. I got one here. I'll see he's talking about playing on Sunday. It's Cup 42. That's all right. I got it. I got it. You got it? Yep. I'll definitely be able to play. So I think they got me listed as questionable, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to play. Hey, man. Listen. I mean, we're talking about the best guy in football. So, he'll rub dirt on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put some spit, some dirt. And your boy, North Turner, he's talking about Phillip Rivers. Cut 44. Has a strained MCL, and I see his situation being a similar situation to where Antonio Gates was last week. It'll be a day-to-day thing.
I doubt he would practice early in the week, hopefully be eliminated in practice late in the week, and right now it's probably questionable in terms of playing in the game, but he's got a chance, so that'll be a day-to-day thing, and we'll monitor as the week goes on. He's like, you know, I mean, if we can't play, then we'll just start, Billy. Oh, I'll be okay. Come here. Come here, buddy. Come here, guy. Excuse me. I mean, it'll be fine if Billy... It has to start. Bless your heart. Norv, I heard you're even going to give some reps to Charlie Whitehurst this week. Well, you know, I mean, that's what I tried to do. Wow, you really worked up, Norv. So anyway, that's it. Good news. We just heard that the FDA has said that it's okay for us to eat cloned. No. They said it's okay. They said it's all right.
I'm not eating cloned meat. They say. You don't even know the difference. Uh-uh. No, Sky. No, they say we've been eating it this whole time. No way. No way. I'm out. I assume. I assume. I assume. Like, that would freak me out, man. Oh, big time. Will they, like, let you know if you're eating cloned hamburger? Um, I don't know. No, I didn't read that. It did say that we're still about three to five years away from it being in the stores. But, you know, their test shows that we can, you know, get milk and meat and whatever we need from these cloned animals. Now, what's so wrong about it? That's the thing. Like, listen, I don't want it either. I don't want to eat clone hamburger. I got no problem. I don't know why. I don't know why I don't want to eat. Something is wrong. Genetically, like something just doesn't seem right. Have you ever seen the movie Multiplicity? No. It's a great movie. Eddie just took his headphones off. Eddie's obviously going to appreciate my reference here. And he's leaving. Wait, no, don't go. Don't go, Eddie. Sit back down.
He's obviously going to appreciate my reference. He's seen the great movie. It's Michael Keaton. He's awesome. But anyways, he clones himself four times. And every time he clones himself, like the first time he does, because he's just too busy. He doesn't have time to be this wife, kids, and his job. So he clones himself at first, and he's like, hey. buddy number two like you're gonna handle my job and it's all good but then it's so great he clones himself again and then it's a little weirder like he's still just not quite the same what was this movie called and then by the fourth time was it on discovery or something by the fourth time that he cloned himself it was like he was you know almost like mentally challenged because he was it had been mixed Well, I would definitely watch it before I comment, though. Multiplicity. Check into it. Well.
I don't know why I don't like the idea, but something about it just seems gross. I don't know why it seems gross. It's probably going to be cheaper. Good for me. Really? Do you think? Yeah. Why? Why would it be cheaper? Because it's not like the... The demand is not as high. I will never eat cloned ham. I bet you it won't fly. I bet too many people think like us. I bet too many people are afraid of it. Oh, yeah. Okay, let's go around the room and say yes or no. Me, no. Eddie? Nay. Skye? I would want to research it, but yes, if everything comes up good and so far it is, yeah. Okay, well, first of all, let's stop right there. You know most people are not researching it. You might go online and research it, but most people are not going to research it. They're just going to go, no. Sean? If I have my choice, of course not. No way. Ashley? Nay. Rob? I don't care. I'll eat it. Whatever. Zed? Yeah, I'd eat it. Yeah, they're poor. So you got three people that say they would eat it. They'll eat anything. They would. They would. Now, Skye says she's got to research it first, but if the FDA's already, I don't know what you're going to find. The FDA's already said it's good to go. It just baffles me that Skye says if she researched it that she would. Because you already are really, really picky with food. You're kind of a vegetarian in a way. Like, I know you're not that big a fan of meat anyways, so cloned me. Well, okay, so here's where I'm at. Well, it's in direct disagreement with Mike, so I'll go there. Anything Mike says, opposite. Yes.
Mike says he won't eat it, then yes, I'll eat it. No, I'm not saying that I love it and I'm going to search it out, but if it's what's presented to me and it doesn't pose any risk, then I'm okay. I don't know. I like ham. You get scared even eating listener food. Seriously, can't you see somebody putting a hamburger down in front of her and being like, hey, dude, oh, by the way, these are cloned hamburgers. These came from cloned cows. She wouldn't touch it. Push it away. No, thank you. It's impossible. But you guys are right. Exactly. If I had a choice between, you know, normally sexually reproduced meat and cloned. It's a family show. That's what we're talking about. That's what we're talking about. I don't think that has anything to do with the... It's a really weird way to put it. Well, it does. It does. If the two cows had sexual intercourse in a heterosexual way, then yes. Well, that's what we're talking about right now. I think that Ashley is 100% right. You're sitting here saying that if somebody put some pork chops in front of you and said, hey, these are from cloned pigs. A filet? Yeah. Cloned cows. A cloned filet, Skye. Yeah, right. No way. She would push it away and say, no, thank you. I don't know. The more I think about it, you guys are...
You're getting in my head. Thank you. Like there'll be some sort of scandal and the FDA was paid off. You do it. And then I won't be able to reproduce. Yeah, exactly. We're right. Come on. That's right. Yeah, Skye, say that. There we go. You guys are close. Wow. That's as close as we've gotten. P1 John. Yeah. Yeah. Go ahead. You're on the end. Good point. Well said. Yeah, but the first copy is fine, right? Yeah, it's good. No, no, no, it was like Michael Keaton. Oh, I thought Michael Keaton hosted a documentary. And that's what we're citing as a source? Clones himself four times. Multiplicity. Great. When you're researching, go to imdb.com and look up Michael Keaton. It's one of my favorites. I'm seeing Batman. Were they cloning bats? No, no, no. P1 Loudmouth. That's different. Hey, Mikey, I was just going to say, you know, all of our bananas that we eat are almost exactly alike genetically.
There's a fungus that's going through and killing off huge plantations of all of the bananas we eat. So if you start taking meat and cloning it, it's going to be so genetically similar that any type of disease or ailment can pass through a huge swath of cattle. Say, Mike, you're prone to bronchitis, right? Yes. I got it right now. If we clone you... over and over again, and then there are some mics everywhere, then if bronchitis breaks out, everybody's going to get sick. Because we've cloned somebody who is susceptible to bronchitis. I don't get how everybody's going to get sick. Because everybody's you. Everybody is a clone of you. And so everybody possesses the, you know, being susceptible to bronchitis. Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, though. Okay. You have to genetically map the whole... you know, genes of that animal to see what it's susceptible to. And if they don't do that, something that flies under the radar now, which may only take out a few head of cattle, would come in and it could wipe out your whole herd. Okay, question. Question. So let's say they clone a cow for, you know, hamburgers. Yep. Do they use the same one, like, to clone a whole bunch? What they do is they take the best of the best. They take their...
That sounds good then. Well, but did you hear about the bananas? They thought they were taking the best of the best with the bananas. We had another banana before we have now that was sweeter. And it was wiped out by a fungus. And so we have the banana we have now. And it is now susceptible to a fungus that's killing off huge plantations in Costa Rica and in Asia. And so we might lose the banana we have now. Wait, wait, wait. If we were to use the banana analogy for cows... That means that the cow, it has to be susceptible to, like, getting a cold or something. But how do we know that? Because cows don't get stuff. Animals don't get sick, you're telling me? Sky, wait, wait, wait. Are you telling me? Are you guys telling me that right now where they're growing cows, that we, like... I'm lame because I haven't heard stories of cows being wiped out at the cow farms. You've never heard of recall on meat and stuff? Yeah, it's because it gets bacteria. Have you ever heard of mad cow disease? It's a bacteria that exists in England. Do you guys know what mad cow disease is? It's not born of a cow and just started. But some people's bodies can fight things more than others. Yeah.
Yeah, I understand, but I'm still not getting how it's going to affect a porky pig. So you need me to draw a diagram? Draw me a diagram. It's like strains of strep or staph infections that are coming through that are resistant. Eddie's bored, and I think that's an indication that everybody is. I appreciate the call, but I'm getting bored, too. If I'm being really honest, I wasn't that interested. Who cares? From the very beginning. It's not going to happen anytime soon. I know it. It's happening tomorrow. They said, yeah. Supermarkets tomorrow. This guy can buy it then. Enjoy. We changed your mind. All for me. So you're going to hear about this one way or another. Sean Phillips is on TMZ because he was partying at Hyde Night Club in LA. And he was trying to hit on some chicks or something like that. So you got the audio, Sean? Yep, here we go. Oh, this makes me so mad. Okay, now
Eddie was really upset. Eddie's like, what's this guy doing out at Hyde, right? Yeah. Yeah, it's the middle of the week. Here we are on Tuesday, and what are you doing out at Hyde? Yeah. Now, I guess what I'm thinking is, I don't know enough about these football players' lives during the playoffs. I don't know what they're up to. Now, Eddie, do you suspect that in New England, none of these guys are doing anything like that, going to a nightclub or going out or doing anything? I don't know. It's more of today's athlete that really bothers me. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You don't get to AFC Championship games very often. Ask Lou Bush. Lou Bush went to that Super Bowl. He thought in his mind, dude, this is great. I'm going to be back a million times. Never even sniffed the playoffs again in the rest of his career. And so it really pisses me off that these guys are... I would do nothing. If I were in the playoffs, I would literally go home, sleep, get rest, study my playbook, whatever I had to do, get ready, practice. It would be football and sleep. That's all I would do during the playoffs. That's it, because this is it. I would not be driving to L.A., partying all night.
Wait, wait, wait. We don't know that he partied all night. Give me a break. He's at Hyde Nightclub. What do you do there? I know, but we don't know that he's out all night. So you drive to L.A. to stop by for a few minutes? I'm with him on Drive to L.A. Hang on. I'm with him on Drive to L.A. and go to the nightclub. I can go, okay, okay. But what I don't know is, A, we don't know if he had one. Maybe he didn't have one drink that night because he was like, I'm not drinking. Could be. Maybe. You're still out. Understandable, but maybe the guy's out until midnight, which to me is different than 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning, which is out all night. You drive back to San Diego? Yeah, but if you drive back to San Diego at 4 in the morning, now you're getting home at 6, 7 o'clock. Now you've been up, like you said, all night long. And maybe he's got friends up there that he's staying with. I don't know. Yeah, we don't want to jump to assumptions, but at the same, or we don't want to make assumptions, but at the same time, I mean, if you're going to drive all that way, we know the Hollywood nightlife doesn't even kick off till close to midnight. I mean, so I think we can kind of put it together. But wait a minute. We're taking some pretty big leaps if we're saying we know that the Hollywood nightlife doesn't start till midnight. It's a rule.
Like it doesn't. You can't even, they won't even let you on the street in Hollywood until it's close to midnight. And by close to midnight, I mean 10 to midnight. So we're saying right now, I mean, come on. Well, talking to people, you know the nightclubs don't even get going until then. So he's going to drive all the way to L.A. to go to a nightclub that nobody's at? No doubt in my mind, dude's out late. No doubt in my mind. Dude's out late. No doubt. But we don't know that he was out all night. We're making it sound like he was partying and drinking and doing the thing. You can give him the benefit of that. That's cool. That's cool. I really believe that. I know Sean Phillips. I know Sean Phillips. He's a good guy. He's a hard worker. You know, whatever. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't want to hear anything about these guys this week. I could be down with that. Yeah, Mike, if you're the coach of the Chargers, I mean... I think I'd be mad.
Going to Mexico with Jessica Simpson, going out partying all night long. These guys, come on, dude. You don't realize. This is it, man. You're going to look back 10, 12 years from now when your plan career is done and go, what am I thinking? What am I doing going out to hide nightclub and getting my drink on or going to Mexico with my girlfriend during the playoffs? It's just stupid. It's ridiculous to me, man. I'm okay. I think that that's reasonable. It's a reasonable thing. If Eddie were coach, he'd say, listen, you guys don't be going out. No, you're going to sleep. Hey, listen, you're grown men. You're going to make your own decisions. But as your head coach, this is the only thing I ask of you. Don't be stupid. Don't be stupid because this is a once in a lifetime chance. You guys all right here, you're probably thinking you're going to be back here next year. It's not a guarantee. It's not a guarantee. So if you want to win a championship, which is why everybody's in this locker room right now, I'm guessing. If not, then you should get out of here. You're all here to win a championship. So it's about sacrifice. LT talked about that when they were on their losing streak. He pulled everybody together, had a team meeting, said, you know what? This is about sacrifice right now. What are you willing to give up to win this championship? I, me, LT, I'm willing to give up going out.
I don't go out very much, but even if I thought about it, I'm not going to do it. He's not a go-out guy, though. He said that, but he said, you know, occasionally I'll go out and I'd like to have a good time, but I'm not going to do it until the season's over. I'm not doing it. That's my sacrifice. I'm going to go to work and go home. That's my deal. What are you guys willing to give up? Because you have to sacrifice to win this championship. It's what you've got to do. Going to hide nightclub? That's not for me. I guess... I don't have any problem with that. I think that makes sense. It doesn't, it doesn't not make sense to not go out. The only thing that I, when I first saw it, that he's up on TMZ, I'm like, the guy went out and he's on TMZ. I guess part of it is that I have a dislike for TMZ in that way, which is part of it. That's part of the deal. And the other part of it is Sean Merriman's a charger. And so right now I kind of just want to be a homer and I don't want to, Sean Phillips is a charger. And so, I don't like anything that I perceive from a negative website doing something that I... Just trying to be Essie. If you weren't at Hyde Nightclub, you wouldn't have to worry about it. No doubt about it. I agree. I don't want to sniff a distraction. Not even a sniff. Sean Phillips is going to be fine. He's going to probably have a monster game. He's young. He's able to recover. Not like you and me. We can't do that stuff anymore. But the fact that he was on TMZ...
It's going to be brought up to him. It's going to be brought up to the team. And now you're starting to get into that area of a little bit of a distraction. Now, is it because if he were in Dallas, would that be making news? It depends. Because he's in L.A. and everybody's at Hyde Nightclub. Oh, that's a player kind of thing. See, because I'm wondering, I'm thinking to myself, I wonder about these New England Patriots. Because if you're talking about the blueprint to championships, they do it the right way. For sure. They're very team-oriented. Now, if the deal is that none of these New England Patriots will go out, you know what I mean? And I also want to know, what is Belichick's deal? What would Belichick say? What is Belichick telling his players? I don't know. I mean, if we heard about Eli Manning in New York, he's out at scores until 2 o'clock in the morning. We'd hear about that. But I don't think you're going to hear about that happening. Yeah. Now, what if he was out at a nightclub? We would hear about it, and I don't think it's going to happen. I'm not a huge Eli Manning fan by any means, but I think that guy, he comes from a football pedigree. He knows what you need to do to win championships. It's disappointing a little bit. It's not the end of the world. I'm not saying it's going to cost us a win or whatever, but I just don't like it. I'm old school. I don't think I disagree with, I don't have any problems with don't be going out. I think my deal was, I don't want to jump to
conclusions with what he was doing out there. That's it. That's my only thing. There's no time stamp on the video. There's no drink in his hand. It leads us to jump to conclusions, which isn't good. Well, I gotta tell you, man, if I found out, if the story developed more, and through the story developing more, they say this was shot at 5am, I'd be like, oh, well, that would kind of bother me. That part of it would bother me. It's seriously four weeks out of your life. For real. Make yourself not go out. Make yourself priorities. Are they practicing this week? Does he have a practice today? Do they have a day off this week or are they working every day? They probably had yesterday off. Which means he was able to go do whatever he wants. I'm surprised it was... But he had to make it back. this morning for practice or whenever practice started. I don't know what their schedule is. They may have today off too, but still, I don't like it. You're practicing Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. If they got to be back this morning, he couldn't have been out that late if he had to be back here and be at practice. Who knows? We don't know. Well, I mean, do we really think the dude was out till four in the morning and then drove straight to practice? I don't know. I'm drunk. I got home at five, slept until eight, practices at nine.
I mean, these are young guys. I mean, they're able to do stuff like that. I mean, I couldn't do that. No way. Wait until I talk to Tony about this. Tony from Wireworks. My friend Tony from Wireworks. Big time Purdue guy. And so everything Sean Phillips. We'll defend. Wait until he gets a hold of this. I love Sean Phillips. He's a great player, but I don't like seeing him out at Hyde Nightclub this week. He won 300. Oh, yeah. 300, are you there? Yeah, what's up, Mikey? What's going on, dude? Oh, my goodness. Wow. Lay down your weapons. What's up, dude? What's going on, man? I just think Eddie's got a point, not even, you know, playoffs or whatever, but, I mean, it's not like the football season's that long. It's like they have, like, 25 weeks of the year where they're off anyway. It's like, do your part. when you're not playing football. And I think they're getting compensated well enough to make a little sacrifice here and there. Regular season, if you feel like you need to go out here and there, go ahead. This is the playoffs. This is four weeks. That's all that should be on your mind. Yeah, I mean, there's a part of me that says you're almost being paid to not do anything that could mess it up. You would hope that's what you would want. I mean, you play all your life for this moment.
P1 Art. Hey, Eddie. Take a breath, Eddie. Listen. The dude, he was up in L.A. He's going to be on Jim Rohn with Bernie. And that's why he's probably up there. He's going to take on the show. And he probably went out. Maybe he didn't even drink any beer. Maybe he had some water. Just wanted to go out and let him do it. Hey, what if that was taken at 8 o'clock last night? What if that was taken at 7 o'clock at 8 o'clock in the evening? And he's accompanied by other people who were there at Hyde with him in that video. One is one of the models from Deal or No Deal. Guilty. And I don't care if he's up there taping Jim Romas Burning. He shouldn't be taping Jim Romas Burning. Why? They can do via satellite. I don't want him thinking about anything but this game. This is me talking. People can disagree if they want. I don't think you should be driving to LA to tape this show. They can do a via satellite thing if you really have to be on Jim Rohn's Burning. But I would say, dude, be on next week. Be on it when you have two weeks before the Super Bowl. If you lose next week, be on it. Go ahead. They'll still want you. I don't know. 570-1053. What's the matter? Well, the matter is that I've asked Sean to please not play that sound effect. Oh, yeah. But he forgets every time. I'm sorry. Yeah, that amnesia. He does that. He goes, oh, I'm sorry. Sean doesn't have amnesia. Well, how's it possible that he doesn't remember that? He doesn't have amnesia. It's not that I... It just slips my mind. It does not. No, it's not like I forget. It's not like you say it. It doesn't slip your mind. And I go, oh, dude, I never heard you. It doesn't slip your mind. I totally forgot. Exactly what happens. It comes back to me as soon as you mention it. All right, Skye, what are new releases that are coming out? He just did it again. He just did it again. Bad Sean. My finger slipped. Bad Sean. It was not that. It was not that. Weird. I think it was good luck, Chuck. Was it? So good. Really cute. Penguins. It got like Fs. Dude, Jessica Alba's a penguin trainer. It's so rad. Check it out if you like this. You'd love that one, Mike. Yeah, it really sounds good. Sounds right up your alley. Dane Cook? It's funny. Dane Cook has not been funny for two years. All right. Also out on DVD, Mr. Woodcock. Now that preview made me laugh when he's on the, what do you call it, when he's on the treadmill and he falls. That's funny. It's funny. That scene looks funny. This email says, now, even if you guys beat B-Rob and his Pats versus the Chargers bet, what's the point? He's a stunt boy. You can make him do anything anyways. What? I would say he has nothing to lose.
P1 Uncle Stovepipe. Why does his voice sound like that? I read that he put, you can't make him do anything anyways, and I just figured he sounded like that. Good call. He's a stunt boy. You can make him do anything anyways. I would say he got nothing to lose. P1 Uncle Stovepipe. He's my nephew. He's a good boy. He's a good kid. Awesome. Well, you know, our CD is only available for three more days. Anyways, so you better go get it. So if you weren't going to get it, it's only available three days anyways. Sorry. And it is only $10. You go in there Saturday, it won't even be in there anymore. P1 North County, what's up? Hey, what's going on, Mikey? What's going on? All right, now hold on. I was just getting back to the whole Sean Phillips thing. And I was just saying that I think it's not necessarily...
It's just one of those things that can imply that you need to stay in during the week. I mean, you look, for example, like if Pac-Man Jones goes out, you know, I know he went out with his entourage looking maybe to start a record. I'm not saying Sean Phillips is, but it's just one of those things that's kind of a responsibility to himself and to the team that he shouldn't have all these other distractions. And it's just the next thing you should be worrying about is Sunday. Yeah, but Pac-Man was hanging out at a strip club, dawg. Making it rain, yo. Yeah. Sean Phillips wasn't necessarily hanging out in no strip club, dog. I heard he made it snow. He made it snow instead of making it rain. There you go. I don't even want to know what that is. Thank you. Mikey's show. Mikey's show. Yeah, I got some comments based on the nightlife staying in. Yes, please. P1 hits you, baby. What do you think? You know, I played college baseball for four years. Me too. Purdue. Coincidentally enough. Baseball powerhouse Purdue. Coincidentally enough, I did it. One season and then I went to ASU. Wow. That's right. A perennial powerhouse. You transferred. I transferred. To Arizona State. Well, my girlfriend moved to Phoenix. Yeah. And so, yeah. And so I transferred and went to ASU and played some of my best ball there. I'm sure you did. I did. Anyway.
What'd you play? I played shortstop. What'd you play? I played shortstop as well. Oh, look at us. We have a lot in common here. What a coincidence. Who was the coach? Who was the coach at the time? Coach... Wait, what? I think it was Woodcock, right? It was Coach Woodcock. He was still there? Yeah. Well, Woodcock hadn't retired yet. The scandal hadn't happened yet. Anyway. What was your point? So you played four years. Yeah, I played four years, and I just, I do know that, you know, when it comes to crunch time, I was one of those guys to stay in, you know, give myself some time to, you know, mentally prepare. On the other hand, I did do my fair share of partying when it comes to, you know, celebratory actions after victories. You know, I mean, as far as an athlete goes, there's those guys that you play with that, You know, no matter how carefree they are, they can go out and do their thing, and they can play some of the most phenomenal games. And as long as we got to the point, as long as, you know, they did their job on the field and they took care of business, then we wouldn't say anything. But until they, you know, played the most god-awful game, we'd go right to that. You know, hey, man, you should have stayed in. You should have done that. You know exactly what you've been doing. But as long as they did their job, man, we really didn't have much to say, you know. Eddie, I heard that they had the day off. Does it make a difference? They had the day off today.
It still doesn't make a difference. If you're Coach Papani, you're saying you still want him in there? Not this whole week. P1 Dirty. What's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? How you doing, man? Hey, I was just trying to get a hold of you guys. I want to come down to the studio and tattoo you. I'm a fat Mexican like yourself. Hey, none taken. Don't read too much. A lot of people might want to analyze that. I'm not going to try to. I'm not going to try to because I already have for four seconds and I'm already getting to a bad place. I'm going to stop there where I was in my analyzation. Well said. You know what, dude? I got to cut you off because we're not allowed. We just found out recently you can't tattoo in studios anymore. Really? Yeah, I used to do a thing called Tattoo Tuesday where on every Tuesday somebody would come in and get a tattoo. And you can't do it anymore. They won't let you tattoo in a studio anymore. It now has to be in a very sterile environment. Licensed as a hygienically. How about you come to my shop and I'll give you a free tattoo just because you're cool. Let me tell you something. This is the most.
unsterile environment I've ever seen in my life. This place is a filthy, awful filth pit. It's awful. It is so gross in here. And as far as coming down to your studio, dude, write me an email and I'll definitely, I want to take a look at the email. Write me an email. Good one. And tell me where you're located at. P1 Turkey Baster, go ahead. Yeah, I was just wondering about Cloverfield. You guys saw the advanced screening. Cloverfield. Yeah, it is worth seeing. Now, let me ask you, are you one of these guys that gets dizzy when you play video games or you get kind of nauseous if you experience any kind of motion sickness or anything? Not at all. Then you'll love it. I do get that, and I still loved it. I just had to throw up. You didn't throw up. Yeah, I threw up right in my wife's lap. It was terrible. What are you doing, honey? And I said, oh, it's a movie. She said, okay. Mikey Show, hello. Hello. Yep. Who's this? This is Mike. This is Mikey, huh? Yeah. Got a comment on Sean Phillips' situation? Yes, you can. Okay, last year, let's see, last year, a certain Charger player, defensive star, was with his Charger buddies in Vegas a couple of days before the Gremlins game. Partying it up. And what happened? They were just partying it up. And what happened on Sunday? They lost on Sunday. Exactly. Oh!
There you go. So you agree with Eddie? There you go. So what you should take away from that is I'm a fat Mexican. That's all I'm saying. Don't mean to it. I'm not. I'm taking it at face value. Okay, I read into it a little bit. I read into it a little bit. All right, we have to go. Love and Talented Missy is up next. American Idol tonight. Oh, yeah, American Idol tonight. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to be switching. What a strange American I am. I'm going to be switching back and forth between the Michigan primary and American Idol. Wow. All right, so back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. What do you think? We'll do it all over again. Mikey shows out late.
