The show opened with Mikey noting Obama's first full day as president and revealing that Clear Channel had laid off about 50 employees in their building, including longtime cast members Sean and Zeth. Mikey expressed personal grief over losing Sean, describing him as a kindred spirit and praising his sensitive side and laugh. Listeners shared memorable Sean moments, such as his over‑modulated voice that made a fan cry, his habit of building a brick‑lined fire at home for safety, and his ritual of salting his milk. An email indicated Sean would FedEx the show's sound effects from the Bay Area so they could return soon, and the crew floated the idea of a Second Chance Prom to honor Sean with 80s music and a crown. In a lighter vein, Mikey recounted how Usher snatched a Snickers candy bar that President Obama had been offered during campaigning.

On his first full day as president today, Obama will meet with the War Council to discuss Iraq and Afghanistan. The Padres avoid arbitration with their new closer, Heath Bell. They sign him to a one-year, $1.25 million deal. Today's a weird day around here, and we're just going to tell you all about it, and we'll just kind of work through it with you guys all together. Yesterday, you may have read this in the paper, I've seen it on the news. I don't know if it was on the news last night, but it's definitely in the paper today that our company, the company we work for, Clear Channel, they got rid of 9% of their staff yesterday. And here in our building, about 50 people? Yeah, close to 60. Yeah, seemed like a lot more than 9% in this building. Yeah. And so we lost Zeth and Sean.
Not going to hear him on the show anymore. Tough, very tough for all of us. For me personally, it was particularly hard because of the loss of Sean. I really, really am very fond of Sean and have a very, oh man, not to sound sappy and stupid, but I have a kindred spirit with Sean and we relate to one another in a lot of ways. One of them is the sensitive side of Sean. I can relate to. So it was just really tough. It was tough for all of us yesterday, man. It was just really tough for all of us and, you know, everybody in the building. Because, you know, even if you weren't fired yesterday, you were affected by it. You were affected by it here in the building. And so it was just a very difficult thing.
A lot of people are going to be asking themselves, so who's going to screen phone calls and who's going to play sound effects? Sean's a good dude, man. He's getting me the sound effects. Awesome. Yeah. So I'll be going old school and playing the sound effects myself like I used to before I had a sound effects guy, which is exciting for me, you know? It makes me feel like Rocky when he's starting to work out again, you know? Like, hey, listen, I can do this. I've done this. It's like the sound effects are eggs and you're going to drink them. That's right. I don't think that is right. I get that. I don't understand that. It's not what you mean. That's so weird. Did you just say that it was? It was, yeah. Okay. What's the point? And screening phone calls, well, there we go. Is that on now? Yeah. There we go. There we go. You're still here? V-Rob's still here.
Ashley, inappropriate. Come on. You've got to keep it. No, we have to be depressed. No, we don't. We have to cry. Stop it. We're making ha-ha. And we're very sad. Come on. Let's make jokes. No jokes. Come on. Just tears. Have fun. Yeah, Rob's going to screen phone calls for a while. And then we're going to get an intern that will be screening those phone calls so that Rob can be back in here making ha-ha funny jokes. But for right now, he's in the phone screening booth. And yeah, sound effects. This is the weird thing. For a little bit, you're not going to hear actual sound effects. And if Sean were here right now, he would play, that's crazy. Or he would play the sound effect of Ashley's mom laughing. Followed by, oh boy! So that's what's up.
So anyway, the inauguration, huh? Totally. No, listen, man. Here's the deal. I know Obama wanted to change, but... Don't you blame this on Obama. Don't you dare blame this on him. Sky, I heard Obama is the one that did it. He did it personally. He wrapped up yesterday and then he made phone calls to everybody. He's like, all right. These are lies. May I speak to Sean King, please? So, yeah. And, you know... What do you do? I heard this last weekend, you know, when bad stuff happens, you ask yourself what next, not why this. And that's exactly what we plan on doing. We plan on saying, what next? How do we respond to this? What's the best way to respond? And let's do it. And, you know, it's going to be all right. It's going to be all right. You're still going to have the same great Mikey show that you've known and loved. It's going to be different for a little bit.
But it's going to get back to what you remember. In fact, I'm committed to taking anything bad and making it better. You know, is it possible that the Mikey show with seven people on it that gets its legs cut out from under it and turns into five can actually make a better product than before? Yes. Watch. I'm going to do it. We're going to do it together. We're going to do it. Because we have a choice. And that's what we're going to choose. We're going to choose to make it better. And we'll be. 570-1053 is the phone number. Text number is 35253. Jump on that while you can. Ridiculous. So where were you guys yesterday, man? Where were your thoughts and emotions? And what are you guys feeling right now? I was shell-shocked. Because I felt very stupid and naive.
that I thought our show was not going to be touched. I mean, we had heard for a while that there was cuts coming and bad stuff was going down yesterday, but I was like, oh, well, that's everybody else. And I felt like an idiot because, man, when I heard that Sean and Zeth were gone, I was like, dude, that's just crazy to me. And it happened to everybody, a lot of good friends. aren't on the show were fired as well. Jay, our promotions director, got fired. Boy Blunder. A lot of good people lost their jobs yesterday. It was rough, man. It was a rough day yesterday. The Jay thing really was a surprise to me because there's some people that are really good at their jobs and then there are some people that are the best at their jobs. One in a million. You know what I mean? And so that one was just a shock. They're all a shock. But it's just a shock. People are really blowing up the phone lines. 570-1053 is the phone number if you want to give us a call right now. P1 Drew. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? Good, dude. Man, I am so bummed right now. You guys are like the number one radio show. And then you take away a key component. I feel like I'm going to defecate my car right now. Don't do that part. I don't think we can put on the radio.
You were fine right up until you said that last part. So I can't really say that. Let's just summarize saying he's upset. He's upset. He's upset. Well, I'm bummed. I mean, how much money does it take? I'll come in right now. I'm supposed to get him back. Hey, dude. I wish. Let me tell you. Oh, man. I know. You know, if we did a thing where, and it isn't just us, you know, the sports station here in the building, they got their whole staff cleaned out. You know? There's two guys left that are going to be on in the afternoon over at the sports station, and that's basically it, I think. Right, Eddie? Oh, yeah. The rest is all shows that are formed out from Fox Radio and stuff like that. There were other morning shows here in the building that were affected by it. Dave Shelley and Chainsaw got hit with the staff cuts on their show. AJ's Playhouse. AJ's Playhouse got hit by it. And so, you know, man, it's it's a bummer. It's a bummer. And it sucks because I've been through this in radio before, man. I went through this when I was real young in radio. And it's just awful. It's just awful because, you know, you you love people and you don't want to see them go. I want to say that sounds like fun. Yeah. That sounds like fun. It's not. It's not.
It's like January right now. It's waiting for April Fools. I'm sitting here, you know, like, oh, he's going to say it's a joke. Here comes, you know, the panda suit. Mm-hmm. No, I wish it was. Not so much. I'm sorry, guys. I'm sure you guys are still bummed. I sound like I'm goofing around, but this is serious, man. That sucks. Yeah. Drew, we appreciate the phone call, brother. All right, man. Have a good day, guys. All right, dude. Thanks, dude. P1, Captain Dave is on the line. What's up? Hey, good morning, guys. You know what? It's hard to deal with this kind of thing. I work for the third largest company in the world, and we just went through this. I'm an upper management, and the worst part about it is, even though you guys know this is a shock to you, there are those that knew, you know, people were on the list, the whole nine yards, but you've got to spin it in a positive way. It's tough.
It's hard to grasp. I've been listening to you guys for so long now. I just feel the same thing when I had to let one of my guys go. I feel like I just let another one of my guys go by listening to you guys. That means you're part of the family, dude. It means you're a P1 and it means that you're part of this family. That's the best thing we can hope for, man. I don't want you to be hurting. In a weird way, it makes me go, oh, cool, man. We do have the relationship with you guys we want. You guys got 9% of you guys that are hurting right now, and those are the people that you need to reach out and touch to, you know? I wish I had Sean's cell phone number. I'd call him right now. Let me give it to you. Hey, thanks, bro. I appreciate it, Kevin. What's crazy is, you know, the people that got let go that I was able to talk to yesterday, they're okay. It's us that are left behind that are, like, devastated. Oh, yeah. So, you know, it's crazy. Sean, you know, he's a resilient guy, man, and he's okay. And, you know, luckily he's still good in San Francisco and still has a job there. And, you know, that made me real happy. Seth is a young kid, and, you know, he's going to bounce back.
He'll be fine. And, you know, it's crazy. And who knows, man? Who knows our paths don't cross again? 100%. I've seen that happen a million times. 100%. I truly believe, you know, that once things, the dust is settled and hopefully our economy bounces back and things get back to normal, that we'll be at 94.9. Yeah. And we'll be together again. He's saying, hi, star. Give me my Zeth. Yes. Good morning. Welcome to Sophie FM. Let's see. P1DDub, what's up? Yeah, you guys pretty much just answered it. I was just wondering how permanent this was going to be. I mean, it just seems surreal. It's just unreal that something like this would even happen. Honestly, not to overdo it, it's almost like a death of the family, dude. I mean, it's crazy. It felt like that yesterday, man. It felt like that yesterday.
Because, yeah, it just, it's bad. It's bad. Yeah, we don't know. You know, I mean, right now we've got to move on and still deliver what we're supposed to deliver. And, you know, if down the line they're able to come back, that would be fantastic. But, you know, we're going to go on and do our thing. Yeah, you guys will kill it, no doubt for sure. But, man, Shawnee O'Boy, man. Shawnee O'Boy. That's the best. Sound effects. In the memory of Sean, you know, boy, I'd like to give him a... Goodbye, Mommy. Oh, he'd appreciate that. Thank you. Yeah, if you're just tuning in, Sean and Zeth no longer on the show. Clear Channel Nationwide yesterday was having to get rid of employees. And on our show, Sean and Zeth were the ones to go. And we're very sad. And in saying that... We're also going to give you a great show. We're going to give you a great show, and it's going to take a little bit of time for us to adjust, but don't worry. It's going to be good. And here's some of the text messages that we're getting. 35253 is the text. Mikey, I'm not taking this news very well. Oh, shoot. His next sentence here is...
I'm not taking this news very well. Okay. Let's be one, Jax. We aren't either, brother. It ain't easy. It's not easy. It's not easy. Maybe we just do that until we get it figured out. You guys just drop them in there. We'll just act them out. You guys drop them in there when you think of them. This one says, what? That's it? I'm getting clear channel on the phone? That's garbage. Good luck. That's it? I don't know anything else you want to talk about. I'm not retiring. Yeah, this could be fun. Man, worst. Mikey, sorry to hear the news about Sean and Zeth. The show won't be quite the same. That's P1JDK. Zeth cracks me up, man. He's like, you know, it was tough when he first found out. And then he was emailing us and he's like, you know, got some dough here, you know.
Who's going to the bars with me tonight? He's a nut. Eddie's right, man. We're taking it harder than the guys that actually got canned. Boy Blender's like, I think I'm going to travel. I'm like, what? Travel and do my writings. I'm like, what? I think I'm going to pack a bag tonight. Yesterday, I was talking to Sean on the phone, and I was crying so hard that I couldn't even speak. And he was laughing at me because I was crying like a blubbering fool. And he's like, I'm okay, Sky. I'm okay. Oh, man. Blunder got lost driving to Tahoe. So, I mean, I'm like, how are you going to travel, bro? I'm just saying. Seriously, though. I'm just saying. I mean, I hope his car is shaped like a compass. That would be sick. Oh, man. Spend some of that severance on GPS, bro. Yeah. Mikey, sorry to hear about your loss. Sean is shocking and unbelievably a great guy. I lost my job Friday due to the economy, too. That's P1, Greg. That's gross. Let's see. This one says, Mikey, can Sean read the news? Oh, that is so... That was inappropriate. That is so warped. It's so twisted. It is. It's a good question, but I just... I'm extremely sensitive today.
We're brothers. Me and you, Sky, we're brothers. We are a band of brothers. Mikey, what do the P1s need to do to get Sean and Zeth back? Sign the P1s. It's very easy, guys. Just fix the economy. Own a business by advertising on our radio station. A lot of it. This one says, no, I love Sean. All the P1s should picket clear channel with save our sound guy signs. Mikey, does Sean still have the San Francisco job or did he lose that too? That's P1 Nikita. He does still have that job. They can make their picket signs out of bamboo. That's right. In honor of. In honor of. Please. You know? And I think we should toast our salted milk glass to the Shawnee over there today. Today, we raise a glass of salted mint milk. Enjoy, everyone. Hear, hear. Miss that baritone. I know, the laugh. The laugh. The laugh. The worst, man. Can we just get a recording? We should pull recordings of his laugh and just throw them in every once in a while. I know it.
Mikey, are you going to be able to bring them back? This really sucks. Sean was the best. Going to miss him and his laugh. P1 Tinkerbell. Mikey, how in the world can you cut Sean? It's a slap in the face to all the loyal fans that make this the number one show. That's P1 Pro Tech. Well, blame Clear Channel, please. Don't look at us. We can't. We have no saying it. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Mikey Show. Hello. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. I'm sorry. I just woke up. For those people that didn't get it, what happened? Clear Channel yesterday laid off a whole bunch of people across the entire country. I thought they were doing as well as the oil companies. I wish. That's so who got laid off. Sean and Zeth. There was a lot. I mean, close to 50 people in our building were let go yesterday.
Sean and Seth were two of them. When did they decide to do that? When did they decide to do it? Yeah. Oh, dude, I don't know. Probably a while ago. We've been hearing this forever. Yeah, but the names weren't actually announced until yesterday. They didn't actually do the canning until yesterday. Well, that's like waking up to a kick in the teeth. Really? Yeah? Yeah. Say that again. Yep. Well, I'm sorry to hear that, you guys, but... You know, I'm never going to stop listening to your show no matter what. I love you so much. Thank you, dude. I appreciate that. I want to kiss your mouth. I'm sorry to hear that. I do. It's a man. I don't care. I don't care. You're going to mouth kiss him. Anybody that keeps listening. Yeah. Zep, if you're listening, I love you. There you go. There you go. I know Shawnee's probably not listening right this minute, but. Yeah. I wouldn't doubt it. He probably is, man. Panda boy. He probably is. Create some pandemonium. Yeah. Right. He's online. I see him online. I wonder if he would want to come on the phone. It's up to him. I'm sure listeners would want to say goodbye to him and that they love him and stuff. That'd be cool. It's up to you, Shawnee, if you feel that. And if not, I totally get it. Mikey, I'm so mad. I'm so mad. Did they give them a two-week notice at least? They did not. They did not.
They did not say you'll be gone in two weeks and keep him for two weeks and then let him go. They let him go yesterday. Don't you get two weeks nervous when you quit? I think you do that. I don't know when you get fired. Yeah. You imagine getting fired and be like, all right, you got two more weeks and you're out of here, buddy. All right, you got two weeks to sabotage this. Don't do anything. We trust you. And then you're done. And then you're done. You're done. Mikey, you feel like crying when the family's split. This is a sad day. Show must go on, though. P1 Nafina. Mikey, it's too quiet. Play some sound effects, even if it's not Sean. Ash. That's P1 Aaron. 35253 is our text number if you want to text us. There's a sound effect. Oh, Jake, you're the best. Good job, Jake. That's right. It's the boy. Jake's our new sound effects guy. That's right. It's all Elmo clips. Yes, exactly. Just have him record them all. Oh, man. That is a little bit different, isn't it? Yeah. It's going to be.
Is that Shawnee? We got Shawnee on the line. Hi, bro. Hi, sweetie. How are you? You're a jerk. We're not. Yeah, no, I'm not either. We're sad. Yeah, I was sad. I was really sad yesterday. My wife was real sad. But, you know, it's like Clear Channel, you know, they don't look at people. They look at numbers. So in that regard, you have to kind of. take some comfort in that you know it's not like they went you know what uh sean you're not performing you're not doing you know what we need you to do so we got to cut you loose it would be one thing if it was that that would hurt a lot i think this way it's like ah well i'm just another number it's okay well i'll tell you man it's going to be real different around here for a while yeah i think it's going to be different but it's not that doesn't mean bad it just means different
You guys will figure out a different kind of footing, and it'll be a great footing, and everyone's going to love it just like they loved it from day one. Will you stop being so positive? I really don't appreciate it right now. My wife said last night, my wife Rebecca said, I think it's really amazing that he was trying to make you feel better. Yeah, that's what he was doing to me, and it was pissing me off. Well, it's, yeah, it's so funny because I wasn't, you know, I'm not the kind of person that, like, really worries about myself anyway. I always worry about everybody else. And Rob called me yesterday. We just, you know, we both felt terrible. And I was just trying to tell him, you know, dude, it's going to be all right. One day, you know, we're going to look in the rearview mirror. It's going to be so far in the distance that we won't even remember how much it hurt, you know.
I wish that was now. I wish that was now, but it will be. It will be. And, you know, we'll figure it out. I love you guys. And to all the pigs, I know I always said that I hate you. In a way, I still do. It's kind of conflicting right now. Now that I think about it, I hate everyone. I'm like, you came in. I love it. That's right. That's right, Shawnee. All right, dude. Have a great day, guys, and everything's going to work out. All right, brother. I love you. We'll see you. All right. That's Shawnee, oh boy. That's our sound effects guy. What are you doing, Eddie? My exercises. What is that? What is that? Your exercises. What? He's doing his exercise. Hey, Robbie, oh boy. I can't see the call screener. Sorry, I'm trying to do text and that.
He's very overwhelmed. There's a lot going on. You're all right, Rob. Yeah, everything's fine. I just want to be on the show again. Like the people in the Titanic, everything is fine. You are on the show. Everything is fine. Does he know he didn't get fired? I don't think he realized it. Rob, you're still on the show. What? You made it, Rob. Yes. Yeah. Hooray. Ha ha, suckers. No, too far. A little much. Richard, are you there? Richard. Now they fired Richard. Now great. Now Richard's been let go? Damn it. He was the best. Give me a second. I haven't checked these lines in like five minutes. All right. I'm trying to get the Tetris. I was playing Tetris. I thought it was gone. I was packing my stuff up. I was cleaning out my locker. We have lockers? It's more like a cubby hole. There's no combination. That's why I sleep. It's real roomy. Oh my gosh. Alright, so we'll see you tomorrow. Alright, let's wrap her up. Kiosk! Brett Favre drops out of the Pro Bowl, which means Philip.
Rivers was named as his replacement, but he declined, saying his knee is too sore. That means Kerry Collins is now in. Who? Really? Can you believe that? Kerry Collins? Yeah. What? He was the second alternate. Really? Yeah. What a trip, dude. Sucks, man. I would have liked to have seen Rivers. Yeah. Wow. He deserved it. I didn't know his knee was jacked up. I didn't really either. Apparently, he sprained it. He's not able to go. If you're just tuning in, we announced earlier. And unfortunately, have to continue to announce today what's going on. Because there's people that are tuning in at all times that haven't heard. But Clear Channel laid off a bunch of people yesterday. And Sean and Zeth were two of them in our building. It was close to 50 people laid off here yesterday. And Sean and Zeth were a couple of them. 570-1053. People are wanting to talk about it. And I understand that and want to make that available for you to call in and voice your opinion about it. P1 Giants fan. How you doing, Mikey? What's up, brother? I want you to call in and give Zach and Sean a shout-out.
Yeah, we're all going to miss them, but we're still going to be listening to you guys and tuning in. We're all P1s. We'll be P1s live. Thank you, brother. I appreciate it. We're going to get those sound effects back on the air. Sean is a real gracious dude, and he's sending them. We'll get it figured out. We'll get your Mikey show sounding back the way you used to know it. We're going to try to make this turn something negative into a positive. Awesome. I love you guys, man. Love you, bro. P1. Fight the power is on the line. Yeah, fight the man. What's up? Hey, Mikey. I just want to say that I think maybe Obama's first act as president, he can fix corporate America. I like it. These guys, these fat cats at the top need to check themselves. I'm in the Navy, so my job is secure, but my wife works for Vons, and they're doing a whole bunch of layoffs, and they're starting from the bottom.
You guys make million-dollar bonuses, and they really need to check themselves. Yeah. Before they wreck themselves. That's right. I've heard that. F the police. Yeah. Dude, I agree, and I hope that that happens. Yeah. It's terrible. Yeah, we're really going to miss Shawnee, oh boy, and Zach. Yep, we are, and, you know. I think that this is just a part of life, man. Bad stuff has to happen sometimes, and it's just a bummer. Well, hopefully next time we can start at the top and work our way down. I'm all for that. I like that idea. Thank you. Yeah, I wish that Obama's first act would be to just hire Sean and Zeth back. What a move that would be. That'd be awesome. He'd be so popular. Yeah. Approval rating would go through the roof if that would happen. Mikey Show. Yeah, we lost another one. Fired. It just keeps happening. I know. Mikey Show. P1 Paparazzi. What's up? Not today. Oh, no. Eddie. He has feelings, too, Eddie. He has feelings, Eddie. Oh, no. We don't even have the camera sound effects. Hey. What's the point? Mike. Mike. No. I can't deal with this today. I can't either. Paparazzi. We're cool. Come on, buddy. What do you got? Don't you do it. Make it a good one. Oh, no. So bad.
We got to do like an homage to Sean today. Do Sean TV, some panda pants. How can we do that? Eddie, maybe he means replay old ones. Maybe he means replay old ones. You're lashing out. It's misplaced hurt. We understand. It's a tough day. Paparazzi, you mean play replays of those bits. Is that right? Yes. Yep, that's not a bad idea. That's not a bad idea. That'll cheer us up. We'll take it into consideration. Thank you, brother. He will be missed. He will be missed, dude. He will be missed. Thank you for the call, paparazzi. It's all right, Danny. It's a tough day. Didn't need that. P1 Daniel. Hey, how's it going, guys? It looks like Daniel. There it is. If you guys contact the company and write to them.
There's many options besides laying people off, such as wage cuts and reducing the hours. I know for a fact that the fire department, they signed a contract with their union, stuff like that. They're going through the process of cutting back wages for two years in order to keep people on instead of having to lay people off. You know, honestly, honestly, I don't know. I mean, if I felt that writing that to them would bring these guys back, I would do it, brother. Oh, yeah, I know definitely. One voice is hardly any. You know, hundreds and thousands of voices are hardly any. And I got to figure they've considered their options, and this is what they felt as a company was their best one. You know, hey, listen, I don't agree. I wish it was a different way, but, you know, we got to work with what we got. Yeah, that's how life goes. That's right. That's right, but I appreciate you, dude. All right, no problem. Good luck to everybody. Thank you. P1 Leonidas. Hey, good morning, guys. Sorry for your loss. Yeah, dude, it's a bummer. Yeah, it just goes to show you all good things must come to an end, but the show must go on, and you guys rock, and you guys are resilient enough and talented enough to put on the best radio ever. And gosh darn it, people like us. I hope so. Yeah. You know, layoffs. Layoffs? Layoffs? Layoffs? Layoffs? This is the layoffs? Wait. Hey, I just want to say I love you guys, and I'm going to miss Sean.
If there's any way you can get them on for at least five minutes at the end of every week just to see what that guy's up to, it'd be great. That'd be awesome. Part of town you live in, Leonidas. All right, I love you guys. Hey, Leonidas, hang on a minute. That's unfortunate. Part of town you live in? Well, I live in Lemon Grove. Lemon Grove, all right. How soon can you have us breakfast? Leave him alone. It's not his job. Listen, we're just trying to pick up the pieces. We don't have a Zeth anymore. Lay off me, I'm starving. We don't have a Zeth anymore. They don't get us breakfast anymore. So, you know, this is where you P1s really show your mettle. Mike, leave the P1s alone. They're in mourning. No, they need to pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and bring us some food. I wish I could bring you guys like some Mimi's Cafe or something. Oh, and then you've got to go from that. You're a good man. We'll see you soon. I love you, Mimi. I love you guys. Thank you. What the? Love that cafe. Oh, it's so good. It's a good one. Just dangled that in front of us. I'll say that much right this second.
What day is this? Today is Wednesday? Is that the deal? It's not Friday? It's Wednesday is what I understand. But we can do it. Let's see. Mikey Show. Hi, this is P1D. I know that Sean and Beth are gone, but did it affect... Quimby at all? Because I know you guys said that she started working for you guys. Well, she wasn't working for The Mikey Show. She was working for Clear Channel. And from what I understand, she's a part-time employee, and I think she's still here. Yeah. As far as I know, yeah. She's still working. Okay. I was just wondering. Yep. Yep. She's still working. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey? Yep. P.O. and Talon. What's up, dude? Hey, you guys are on my way home.
You want me to pick you up for breakfast? You're a good man. You're a good person. You're a good human being. I love you. I love you. I think he understands that we said yes. I love me some Talon. Both of you can calm down now. Yeah, Talon. What do you guys want? Love. Sean back. Yeah. Sean. Yeah. Side of Zeph. Swing by IB, grab Zeph. Like a side of Zeph. Yes. And then a Cherry's Jubilee. But that's it. But that's it. But that's it. But that's it. Oh, it hurts. Taylin, can we put you on hold? Can we put you on hold and we'll figure it out? No problem. You're a good man. I know. Thank you. I know. He does. He's aware of it. That's fine, I guess. Mikey Show. Hey, this is P1 Mr. Senor. Hey, what does Dr. Phil think of Seth being gone? Well, I think that sometimes you got to do what you got to do. You understand what I'm saying? Inspirational. Yeah. I mean, if y'all want to feel better about this, just realize when you got some dead weight, you got to cut it off. He did a lot here.
So take that. Dr. Phil. Well, Dr. Phil is not very compassionate, that's for sure. He's kind of a jerk. All right. Thanks, brother. Cut your mustache. Thank you. Mikey Show. What's up, dude? Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up? Hey, you know what? I just wanted to say that... I'm really going to miss Sean, man. Every morning I wake up and he makes me laugh so much. I love that guy. Me too. We're going to miss his voice. We're going to miss that deep baritone. We're going to miss that goofy laugh. Oh, I love that laugh. Those Hawaiian shirts. The Hawaiian shirts. No more Hawaiian shirts. Shants and the sleuths. Oh, the shants and the sleuths. The disappearing facial hair. Is anybody ever going to talk and see how I... No, Beto, we should have considered your feelings. Yeah, we're sorry. How am I feeling and dealing, dude? No one says that. That's what I learned in my prison counselor. No, stop it. My prison counselor once, dude, he was like. Oh, boy. He's like. You've never been to prison. He's like. You've never been to prison. You're a baby, pretty much. He was all, homie. Yeah.
You got to get into feeling and dealing. Yeah, was that being scared straight? Yeah, what does that mean? And I was like, dude, how do I feel and deal looking at life, possibly execution in here, dude? You were looking at possibly execution. Yeah. You're 14. That's all. And he was all, dude, even when you're walking down death row. Death row. Yeah, dude, because I was up for death, dude. Then why are you out? How did you get out? Why are you sitting here? Oh, because I got my case seen by the governor, bro. Oh, the case seen by the governor. He sees a lot of cases. And I wrote him letters, and then he wrote me back, and he was all, you're free, dude. Really? Will you stop lying? That's bad. What were you in for? I was in for theft and robbery at a... You got death? You got death for theft and robbery? It happens, Eddie. You don't know. Really? I've never heard that. Yeah, dude. Persecution. Wait. What is that? Sky, now what do you have to say? Okay, I'm sorry. And rebellion. No, that's not a crime. But I miss my Uncle Sean, dude. I bet you do. That dude wore the greatest pants that became shorts ever. That is true.
That is true. Yeah, he was a genius with it. And I thought that his shoes with no laces were super cool, dude. Well, you made fun of him a lot. Well, dude, they were funny, bro. They weren't even like, they were all space-aged. That is true. Made of some special polymer. Oh, wow. Wow. Big word for you, Ben. Yeah, dude. Okay. Let's see. Mikey Show. Hello. Is that a sound effect? Yes, it was. Hello. Uh-oh. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey, what's going on? What's up? No, this is Scooby. This is Sad Scoob. This is Sad Scoob. What's up, Scoob? Raw, raw. Raw, raw. I was wondering, this is actually the first time I've laughed. Oh, that's fantastic. That is fantastic. Hey, Scoob. Scoob.
You just won big-time points for me for the next 50 years. That was pretty timely and well done. I want to ask if you could play the, it's hard to say goodbye, but instead of putting Bush, you know, put Sean in there. Dude. You can't do it without our baritone. I know it, man. We need our baritone. Hey, Scooby, we love you, man. Thanks for calling, brother. That's one of our biggest and brightest P1s, man. Well, there's not. I wish there was. You think? Well. There isn't, okay? So thank you. Just drum and sing. Our phone number, 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. This one year for my girlfriend at the time, now we're married, I took a piece of paper and I wrote down memories that her and I had created together on separate little pieces of paper. And I, you know, folded them up and I put them inside the mason jar.
And on the outside of it, I wrote memory jar. Thoughtful. You know, she's never forgot that memory jar. I did a certain thing that was similar. Rob does this every time. He makes fun of it. He makes fun of it. Mine was more of a papoose of affection. Oh, wow. That's really nice, too. It was kind of like, well, if you don't have a mason jar, if you're not a mason, I used a mug. and put lady feelings in it. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show. It is 7.03. So many people logged onto the web yesterday to watch the inauguration that the internet's top site slowed down by as much as 60%. Heinz Ward has a sprained MCL but vows to play in the Super Bowl. MCL? Yep. Is that what... Is that what Sean Merriman had? He had the PCL. There's too many CLs. There's a lot of CLs. What's up with that? There's ACL, MCL, PCL, then there's the MLCS, and then there's the ALCS, and then the NLCS, and there's the MLB, and there's the ACLU. That's a tough one to tear. There's the IOU. The TMI. You ever torn your TMI? That one is the gnarliest. I'll tell you that. Good luck.
I'll tell you that much for a dollar. Uh-huh. Uh, 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. If you're just hearing right now, Sean and Zeth, they're not on the show anymore because of massive layoffs that happened yesterday with Clear Channel Communications. That's their jingle. I didn't know there was a jingle. Yeah. I need it. It's on camera. I'm not a fan. And it just goes, Clear Channel Communications. It's not like that. Yuck. That's right. Ew. Uh, Let's see. P1 Dunkin' Donuts. What's up? How you doing, Mikey? I just have a question for Sky. Legitimate question. Okay. I'm wondering since her new little kitten, Dito, is showing signs of aggression, if she's going to be training it to hunt down and murder the gopher. That's a legitimate question. That's actually a legitimate question. Sky. They are indoor cats.
She's showing aggression because she's a kitten. Kittens go through this. I'm sure she's going to grow out of it, and the kitties do not go outside. So, no. That's too bad, Scott. That's a win-win situation. You've got a cat to take her for you, so your hands are clean. Are you sure it's not a baby wolverine? Yeah, you can check that out. Have we looked into that? I'm pretty sure it's not. You could kill two gophers with one cat. Oh, I like it. That old saying. That old hackney phrase. Well, the gofer is like twice the size of the kitten right now. I don't think it would. Yeah, but she's fierce. Yeah, she is. She is fierce. She's Sasha Fierce, man. Have you seen Skye's hand? That's right. She's got to keep the pimp hands strong. She likes to play. Okay. She likes to play with fingers and hands and faces. People in paparazzi is back on the line. I don't know. Hey. Hey. Go ahead. Freeform. Freeform. Freeform Friday. I heard it's Freeform Friday. Rob pretending he cannot hear. I want Zeph back. I'm not kidding. You would never let this happen. What's going on, paparazzi? I have a public email account that Sean would be willing to give out that all the fans and listeners can send them emails with good thoughts and best wishes. He doesn't want to hear from you. Like over a thousand emails. Fans just saying, hey, you know, we miss you and we wish you the best.
I would have to talk it over with Sean. I'd have to ask Sean. If he's willing to do that, then sure, man, absolutely. It's kind of a neat thing. I think that there would probably be listeners that would go, hey, man, I'd really like to reach out to those guys. Sure. So maybe if nothing else, they could open up just a Gmail account. You know, you can always find them on that face space, too. Yeah, they might be on face space. Check them out on that. My book. Just face space it. All right, last call, paparazzi. No more. You're done. There's no limits here on the mic. He has filled his quota. Thank you. You're done. I liked it. And I hate you. No, not too. I thought we were just saying stuff. I thought it was a free form. Paparazzi, thank you for the call. We'll see you. P1, hot pink penguin. Oh, my favorite penguin. That's my favorite penguin. Hi. What's going on? I would just want to let you guys know the kitten that Skye has, it's actually the cat that I found in my shed. Shut up. Yeah, I live in Escondido and I found it back outside my house in the shed. And I just took it to the animal shelter. And when I heard her say that someone had found it in their shed and brought it in, I was like, oh, I picked up my cat. A little tiny black and tan cat. What's like, don't give your street, but what's like a main road you live off of? Off of Ash. Yeah.
That's her. That's just crazy. That's baby Dito. Yeah, Skye's got the cat you found. Yeah, it was so funny when I heard Skye say that. I was like, oh, I think that was mine. That's funny. Why didn't you keep her? She's such a love. What? You want her back? She wants to know why you guys couldn't keep her. She was just, we don't have the money or the time to take care of a cat. Me and my boyfriend both work all day. Oh. And we couldn't afford to get, like. cat food or a litter box or anything. She was meowing nonstop, so we were really annoyed. Yeah, she likes to meow. Skye's taking good care of her. Thank you for saving her. I love you. Very cool. Thank you. Sounds like a joy. Thank you, hot pink penguin. That's crazy. Did you guys see, when you guys got home yesterday, did you guys watch any coverage? Yeah, I did. Did you guys see the Obamas get out of the limo and start walking down the street? Oh, yeah. Oh, my heart. It was crazy, bro. Eddie, you didn't see this? I don't know. During the parade, the inaugural parade. Oh, I think I know what you're talking about. They got out of the car. Started walking down the street. Waving. Waving. Well, Michelle looked amazing in that gold. Just radiant. Fabulous. Green gloves. But what I thought was really great is that they've got, you know, we're watching on CNN.
And they have the GPS map of Washington, D.C. And they have, you know, some landmarks so that you can see this is the Capitol building and this is the White House. And they show the Obamas as a green blinking GPS dot on this map. And you see how fast they're moving, what location, you know, so that any sniper. Or that any whack job can be watching that and go, oh, they're out of the car walking right now? Perfect. Well, they wouldn't be able to get close. Dude. To them. Did you see the security? Yeah, they couldn't. It was nuts. The people who were there watching the parade couldn't go to the inauguration because they had to be there so early in the morning to get through all the security. And so many blocks were locked down. And they were talking about where they did get out of the car was a place where it was a lot of federal buildings. Sky, when I said it. What's the first thing that went through your mind when I said they were walking down that street? I thought somebody may have already got in there, but somebody wouldn't be able to watch it on TV and run down there real quick. I wasn't worried about that. Well...
Were you worried? But I was worried that they got out of the car. And it was crazy because I was watching CNN too at that point. And they were talking to some like security expert who used to do like security for Clinton or whatever. And the reporter chick goes, so are the Obamas wearing any protective gear right now under their clothes? And he said, and he likes, you know, paused for a second. He goes, I don't think it's appropriate for me to comment on that right now. I don't know, man. I mean, first of all, I couldn't really get a handle on it, but from what I understand, the Obamas decided that they wanted to do that, that they wanted to be, you know, just cool. I love it. Yeah, they got out of the car at two different points in the parade route and walked for a while waving and then got back in the car, drove a little, got back out. My wife said, I think that that's so cool. And I said, I think that that's so irresponsible. I loved it. It's pretty dangerous. Dude, I mean, hey, President Obama, you realize you're the first black president, right? You realize that there are whack jobs out there that were going to dislike you, A, because you're a president, and now you put the extra thing on there that you're a black president. Get in the car. Yeah, it was pretty intense. You know, he wants to be the people's president. I love it. He wants to be out there waving and kissing babies. There's other ways, man. And it was tripping me out. You know what really tripped me out?
Was like, I'm not kidding you. I was nervous the entire time. I was too. The entire time I'm watching him walk down that street with his arm up, waving, smiling, and his wife doing the same thing. And then they would show a shot where you would see the entire crowd running and moving along with him. And I was like, ah, ah, ah. But let me tell you something. How impressive are those Secret Service? Just the way they look. Do you watch their eyes? Their eyes are like hawks. They're not looking where they're walking. They're looking at the crowd the whole entire time, scanning every face in that crowd. Those guys, if they are in a pair of pajamas, probably weigh about 200 pounds. Dressed. Yesterday, they probably weighed about 275. Oh, yeah. And I'm telling you, there are Uzis underneath those jackets. There are a lot of automatic weapons underneath those jackets. That's crazy. It's amazing. Those trench coats. Seriously, dude. It's like, remember Keanu Reeves in The Matrix when he walked into the bank? Oh, yeah. That's those guys, man. They are definitely decked up. Remember Clint Eastwood in The Line of Fire?
I don't, but I know that some people have seen the line of fire. What happens in it? He's a Secret Service guy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. What has he got on in that? Suit. Good point, Eddie. Yeah, he's an earpiece. He's an earpiece. But I heard that the earpiece has little Uzis in it that can shoot you. You guys remember Dennis Quaid in Vantage Point? Eddie, you're starting to get real obscure. He was a Secret Service guy. What was he wearing? The suit. Okay. The Mikey Show. Why can't you just have a coat? Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Traffic's getting pretty tough out of Escondido right now. There was an earlier accident south 15 before Via Rancho Parkway, which pretty much just added to that usual slowdown out of Escondido. It's still slow off to 78 down to the scene of that crash. Once it clearly causes, though, you're good to go. This coaster ride south 5 is starting to pick up some brake lights now down the North County shoreline. Slow out of Encinitas down at the Solana Beach.
Looking pretty nice out of East County, the 52-894, all looking just fine into the city westbound. 805 northbound is also a good-looking ride. It's a minor delay through North Park. You will find some brake lights, though, on the 5 Freeway northbound that at Chula Vista past the Southway Freeway up in the National City. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood 053. Hey. Yeah. T. It's the Mikey Show. It's 7-19. The original Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio, says that even he thinks that Will Smith's remake of the movie is a bad idea. Thank you. The Chargers announced two new coaching hires. They named Don Johnson as their defensive line coach. He's actually pretty good, dude. I mean... They're not going to let him wear that suit? Well, if you can get past the blazer. Because it's neon pink. That's the problem. It's very distracting. See, I would have hired a guy named Tubbs if you're going to hire a defensive line coach. Yeah, well, you don't know. You just have to kind of figure that Don Johnson has sang with Barbra Streisand. I think you have to factor that in. I do. And Steve Wilkes is their secondary coach. Both men worked under Ron Rivera in Chicago. This text says, Mikey, I am salting my milk today in Sean's honor. It's people in Rainbow Corps. Nice. Sean used to salt his milk. He still does. I mean, technically. Yeah, I mean, please. And if you want to call in, you know, I thought it might be cool for us to, you know, celebrate this. You know, not celebrate them going, but celebrate them. And so if you have really fond memories, funny things, cheer us up. Remember that time that Seth mumbled? Oh, sky. You guys remember that? I do. That was funny. I remember that time.
I remember that time. I laughed. That's right. Yeah. If you have funny moments that you remember of Zeth and Sean, cheer me up. I'd love to hear that stuff. 5701053. You guys remember that time that Sean got really mad and wanted to fly back to San Jose doing the 28-hour show? What did he get mad about? 80s stuff, I think. Oh, yeah. Wasn't it 80s stuff? Do you remember Second Chance Prom? Oh. Holy cow. Second Chance of Prom, dude. Second Chance of Prom. That was maybe my favorite of all time. That was so good. We were teasing him. Oh my gosh. Was the thing that we thought that it would be fun to do a Mikey show Second Chance Prom? Yeah. So funny. And we're playing like 80s, cheesy 80s music and he was getting so mad. Making fun of him? Yeah. Because that's all Sean listens to is the cheesy 80s stuff. Is that not one of our best of CDs? Yeah. I think it is, yeah.
And the thing that was so funny is that Sean really is, he can be very sensitive. And, you know, we wouldn't go there except that it's so funny. Well, I mean, this big hulking man with a huge deep voice loves 80s music. And it's just funny. P1 Rich read the paper this morning where they're talking about the Clear Channel firings. Zethian Oates, his name is even in the paper today for being fired. He's a celebrity. P1 Rich. Hey, guys. What's up? Yeah, it really sucks because I actually went to, what is it, sdradio.net. Yeah, his name wasn't on it and Sean wasn't on it, but then I saw, what's it called, Mike Costa's gone from XTRA. Actually, the whole XTRA crew is gone, isn't it? The whole crew, dude, except for their afternoons, the whole crew. And then I read, what? Dave Shelley and Chainsaw is the only local programming in San Diego on KGB? Yeah, that's weird the way I went to sdradio.net, too. And they list all these people who are fired. And then at the bottom, they say, like, the only on-air local programming left is Dave Shelley and Chainsaw. I was like, what? That's weird. Yeah, it's odd the way they, like, worded that. Yeah, I didn't get that. Well, dude, let me tell you, man, it's sad.
You know, it's sad because we know a lot of these people, and we're going to miss a lot of these people, and they mean a lot to us. Yeah, because the frustrating part is you want to support the local shows, but then you know they're going to use syndicated stuff that's not even relative to San Diego, and you don't want to listen to it, but you're afraid you don't want to not listen to it and have other people lose their jobs as well. Well, you know, at the same time, you know, I'm going to tell you right now that we are on the radio right now. Show me the paper. No, it's the truth. I can put a blindfold on, put a cigarette in my mouth, and hold up the paper. I need to see the date of that paper. It could be yesterday's paper. We don't know. Hey, Rich. Yeah, bro. What station do you work for? Why, are you looking for a job? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I want to come work at your station. Which one do you work for? Oh, I don't work for any of them. I actually, like I said, I've just been an avid listener for all the Clear Channel stations for about 20 years. Is that right? How do you know about that SD radio thing? I know. Unless you worked in radio. Sounds like you may have had something in radio. Did you work in radio at one point? No, I was just frustrated because you can get the real story like on Chris Cantore. And then when you try to go to the Union Tribune, they wouldn't have stuff. So out of desperation, I just hit local or San Diego radio. And that came up. And that's where I started reading it. What did you used to do in radio? Honestly, nothing at all. I got a communications license.
You know, when you grow up and listening to all these stations and all these DJs, and you're just wondering, hey, where in the heck are they going? For sure. And the lack of, really, the information. Do you have any friends in radio? Not really. Well, kind of? Technically, you guys are kind of like friends, because like I said, we've listened to you guys for so long. For sure. I've listened to you since you guys replaced Howard. Yeah. This has been a while. Yeah. Four years. That's cool. This is going to be our fifth. No, twelfth. Isn't that right? 17 years on the air here? I'll wait. Congratulations. Okay. All right, buddy. Thanks for the call. All right, Mike. I'm uplifted. P1 Suburban Cowboy is on the line. Hi, Suburban Cowboy. Suburban Cowboy, are you there? Here we go. There you go. Go ahead. Hey, hey. So, if you want good Sean moments, my favorite Sean moment of all time is him doing Sean TV.
Introducing Battle Ham. That was a pretty good moment. Yeah, I hated that moment. That was a classic moment. It was great. It was hilarious. What about Sean doing Sean TV and playing TV shows in Japanese that we couldn't understand and that he would be laughing at? I didn't think that was good. Sean TV is great. Who's going to do Sean TV now? Sean. At his house. At his house. Hey. If we can get him on doing Sean TV once every couple weeks. Let me tell you something, dude. I'm not kidding you. When these things happen, every thought runs through your mind. I considered asking him, hey, would you consider just doing the show anyway? I considered it, you know, because I love him and I miss him and I want him on here. And I could just hear that big baritone laugh if I had suggested it. Not the same show without him. And I'm going to miss Charlie Brown, too. That's right. Could you not miss him? Thank you for the call, by the way. Somebody said, hey, can you put together some best of moments of all of them or both of them? And I thought, well, what would we do with Seth? I mean, he didn't really say much. He didn't say very much. We could do the time we did the dance off and he got up there and didn't dance. There's no reason to. I'm thinking of moments.
It's memorable, bro. This text message says, is Sean now going to reunite Solstice? That would be great. Don't know. I want his voice saying that obscure New Age guy's name right now. Reginald Vulcan. Mikey, whoever made the decision to let Sean and Zeth go is not very smart. Why would you mess with the chemistry of the best morning show in San Diego? It's P1 Rebecca. That could be my wife. I don't know. Because, you know, people that make these decisions don't think about stuff like that. You know, they are about the bottom line and, you know, the edict came down from...
Clear Channel and that they had to get rid of people and, you know, just looking at numbers and not people. In a big company like this, you know, that has stations all over the country, like the person who probably made the decision probably has never even heard our show. You know, so what do they know? People are calling in with their favorite Sean moments. Yes. P1, what's hampooning is on the line. Morning, Cubby. You know, it's a sad day, but, you know, First off, I just want to say that maybe don't call it like he's getting laid off. Maybe he's just on an extended vacation. Or hibernating. He is a panda. That is true. And, you know, one of my favorite moments of Sean, you know, it's not just a specific moment, but just when he would over-modulate his voice. I mean, that's... Yes. It's hysterical. He's so angry and just over-modulated. Wasn't hard to do with that guy's voice. That's right. I loved it. You know, P1, what's hampooning? We worked with Sean for many years. And he started with us in San Jose. And I remember that the first time he ever did that, and this is a true fact, first time he ever did that, I laughed so violently and I laughed so hard that I literally, I'm telling you the truth, literally, I had tears streaming down my face the first time he ever did that, whacked out, yelling into the microphone, over-modulated. It was brilliant.
I don't even have to hear his voice. I just think about it. It just makes me crack up so hard. Sean is a brilliant comic, man. He is a brilliant comic. Yeah, for sure. He's been writing comedy since he was 17 years old professionally. He started writing comedy when he was 17 years old professionally, getting paid for it. I said this on my blog this morning. He's an unsung hero of the show in terms of his contribution. He is so... brilliantly funny, and I'm just going to miss him so much, man. Miss my friend. That chemistry, man, that's a huge deal, and that's what those radio big whiz don't get. They just, like how Sean was saying, they see numbers. They don't see exactly what they're doing to a show, but it's not that it's going to make the show bad or anything. It's just a piece that's missing, at least just for now. And who knows, man? Maybe somewhere down the line we can work together again. You know? Yeah. So we appreciate it. All right, man. Have a good day, guys. Thank you. But that would be for another station to decide, and they'd have to know that our contract is up on January 1st of 2010 in order for that to... What day is that? When is that? I didn't get that. It'd be January 1st of 2010. Oh, okay. But they would have to have the wherewithal to know that our agent is Robert Eatman. Oh, oh. Robert Eatman? Robert Eatman. Of Robert Eatman Enterprises, if you want to Google it.
Okay, okay. If you were to do it. Oh, yeah, yeah. I mean, who would do that? You know what I mean? Yeah. And besides that, that's so far away. Yeah. Yeah. That's so far away that what's the point in even thinking about Robert Eatman, our agent? Yeah, yeah. Bob, for short. Enterprise. Bob, for short. Mikey, why didn't you call me? Oh, Bob. Bob, it's okay, Bob. Bob. Yeah. I had called Opie and Anthony and made sure they didn't get it. Oh, okay, good. Glad you're concerned about this, Bob. That's awesome. Hey, Mikey, sorry to hear about Sean and Zeth. On a happier note, Neil Diamond's birthday is this Saturday. He'll be 68. Thank you for letting us know. P1 Laura. That's right. Mikey, who's going to do sound effects now? Well, that's a good question. And Sean, Sean has a heart as big as a panda bear's. That's a good. It's a really good reference. And he's going to make sure that we get all those sound effects. And we will get the sound effects back on the air. You'll be hearing the sound effects in a short time. What I'm going to do, too, I think, is make a video homage for Sean. And what it will be is I will take clips of all of the people crying at the inauguration yesterday.
And I will make it seem as if they are reacting to the news of Shauna and Zeth. And then I'll play like, you know, Candle in the Wind. And, you know, we'll superimpose photographs of you, Phil. You know. Well, don't send it to Zeth because that guy will like. Oh, very emotional. Yes. If you are just waking up, Shauna, your boy and Zeth. Got the axe yesterday along with about 50 people here in the building. Clear Channel was making cuts yesterday. And we love both of those guys so much, man. And it's really tough news for us. And, yeah, man, you got a funny Shawnee moment. Funny Zeth thing that happens.
The dance competition where he got up there and didn't dance, which was a moment. That was a heck of a moment. But if you have a favorite Sean moment and a favorite Zeth moment, call us, 570-1053. Hello. There we go. Thank you. The ride's getting a little bit tougher here as we move along to South 15. Pretty jammed up now out of Escondido up to 78 down to Via Rancho Parkway. This coaster ride's getting heavier as well. Brake lights start on the South 5 from La Costa, and that stays with you all the way down to Solana Beach around Manchester before it lets you loose here. Looking pretty good, though, out of the east county. The westbound 8, though, you will find a brief delay right around Lake Murray. Kind of the usual spot there. No worries in the 94, maybe just a minor delay in the downtown, but otherwise looking pretty good. And both the 5 and the 805 northbound starting to pick up some heavier traffic out of Chula Vista over to National City on both these freeways. 805's got another brief delay through North Park, but now it gets tougher out of Kearney Mesa with that usual slow crawl over the 52, heading up towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The new year is here, and you need to save cash. Ask yourself this, are you paying too much for auto insurance? Are you looking for ways to save money now? I'm popping the top on a champagne and Viki because today's a big day for Barack Obama. Oh, okay. Well, that's... I don't know that you should say that, but... That's right. Okay. I don't need to go see that notorious B.I.G. movie. Why? That's the kind of life that I already live. You understand what I'm saying? Oh. It doesn't sound...
I don't like it. I live it every day. And if you don't believe me, just come over and check out my scrapbooks. Because let me tell you something. They will tell the whole scrapbook. Yeah, man, they are messed up, dude. Covered in blood. And they're just like... The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's The Mikey Show. 570-1053 is our phone number. Quivering. It is 739. President Obama wasted no time yesterday. In between all the speeches and parties, he filed a motion to suspend all military trials at Guantanamo Bay. Brian Howard from the Phillies asked for $18 million in arbitration, the third highest figure submitted since the process began in 74. We're getting a lot of text messages and a lot of phone calls about the news that came out in the Union Tribune today.
It's all over the news just about the stuff that happened here at the radio station. You know, we had to let a lot of people go. Clear Channel had to let a lot of people go. And two people were affected on the Mikey show, and that was Zeth and Shawnee O'Boy. And people are calling in, and they're telling us their favorite Sean moments, which is cool, man. I like that. And we're getting text messages about him, too. Mikey, this is P1 Rude Dog. Can you play some 80s music in Sean's honor? Yes. He would love this right now. Let me tell you the beauty of Sean's love for 80s music. Yes. Eddie sort of touched on it earlier. We're talking about a man that is 6'5". Yeah. And about three bills. He would actually say he runs about 320. He's a large guy. He's just a big guy. Yes. That's a great analogy. Loved 80s music. Just loved it. And he didn't want to be given a hard time about it. The gayer the better. He loves Culture Club, Wham, Razor. It was mostly the Euro. The Euro gay. How much would you guys have paid to just catch Sean in one private moment where he thought he was alone dancing and singing to this? Yes. Priceless.
He's naked. I wasn't thinking that. I don't know that anybody knew he was. Really? Yeah. I think that when you said that, it came as a shock probably to everyone. Big thing's popping. Mikey, how will I know when Banachek solves a crime now? Oh, man. That's a great point. Mikey, Sean's little piggies will miss him. P1 speed limits. Mikey, do you think Sean will become a full-time furry now? Let's see. This is P1 Kitty McMue on the line. Hi, Kitty. How you doing, guys? What's up? Bummed about Sean. Hey, listen, I got a favorite moment for you. I think Sky had a top ten list or something of the dirtiest places in the house. And he named everyone himself flawlessly. It was just awesome to listen to. It was. It was like listening to the Michael Jordan of germaphobe. You know, nailing three-point shots. And that aspect of Sean's personality could not be more fascinating. And listeners were fascinated by it. I was fascinated by it. My wife was fascinated by it.
And I will continue to be fascinated by Sean's germaphobe. Well, he vacuumed your drapes, Mike. He vacuumed the drapes. They stay at your place. Yeah. Weird. And he vacuumed them because he said they were filthy. They weren't. No. Dude, Sean can find filth. Yeah. Like me. I'm real clean, and, like, he wouldn't touch me. He'd get real weird when I would, like, you know, touch his back. That's strange. So, like, grow up. Right? Grow up. No way. Let's see. Let's see. P1 Sniff is on the line. Are you there, Sniff? Yep. What's your favorite? What was your favorite Sean thing? Well, I just want to say that Sean was always the most laugh out loud member of your show. Not that you're all not funny, but that story about being really safe by building the fire inside with the bricks on his parents. And the best part is if you could just imagine him putting that chair on it and leaning on it and being like, hey, what's going on? Yes. That was awesome, man. Amazing. I laughed for Dave. Thank you, Sniff. Yeah. This text says, Mikey, who could forget the time that Zeth did a somersault into the pool at Harrah's during the P1 Hall of Fame broadcast? That was crazy. That was his moment. It was. Eddie, have you heard anything about the Chargers moving to the city of industry?
My cousin said he heard it on the news. Have you heard anything? Now you go. That's P1000. Yeah, where's the City of Industry? City of Industry, I believe, is in the Riverside area. It's not by the City of Lights. Oh, that sounds beautiful. I believe. By Havasu? City of Industry, Riverside County, I think. I don't know. It's over there by the Inland Empire. Oh, okay. I don't know where that is either. Mikey, you guys rock. And the show must go on for the greater good. Of San Diego. It's a P1 truck driver. Mikey just heard about Sean and Zeth on my way to work. That's terrible news. And it has seriously ruined my day. That's P1 Dito. That's this guy's cat actually. Baby Dito. This is great. This text message says, my favorite show moment was, quote, Qui-Gon Jinn. Too soon? That was brilliant. Only a nerd would say that. Oh, what about watching that Star Trek episode? Dude, that was amazing. Sean cried watching an episode of Star Trek. And I, for whatever reason, I always thought it was like one of the old episodes with Kirk and whatever. Turns out, no, it was like with Next Generation. And we, on the 28-hour show, we all watched it together. I couldn't figure out what part made him cry.
And I kept asking him, and he, of course, wouldn't answer. No. Oh, man. Mad. Mikey, so with Sean gone, does this mean that we may not hear Sammy Sosa? Love the show. Sean rules. You never know. That's right. My eeky, my eeky. Wano, wano. Wano, wano. Yeah, I don't know what Sean has to do with Sammy Sosa calling into the show. Yeah, I don't either. I just know he has to go to the bathroom whenever Sammy calls in. It's weird. So weird. Coincidence. There it is. Well, we're very sad to see our friends go. It is 747 in the morning. And all right. That's a good one, Mike. I got to figure it all out. Oh, is Mal doing a comedy thing? Yeah, I just printed that out. Sweet. Free tickets for Mikey Show P1's Mal Hall at the La Jolla Comedy Store tonight. Whoa.
I need some laughs right now. That's right. Doors open at 7. Show starts at 8. 21 and up. Don't forget your ID. And you can email him. Malhall at clearchannel.com. That's good news. He's still here. Cool. He's still here. Good. Your first and last name plus the number of tickets that you want. Nice. So you can't just show up. You have to email him. You've got to email him. Okay. And email him your first and last name, Mal, M-A-L, Hall, H-A-L-L, at clearchannel.com. So get you in absolutely free, or call the comedy store and make a reservation. Mention Mal Hall to get in for free, 858-454-9176. That's a deal. That is really cool. I need it. I'd like to see him. I'd like to see him do his stand-up act. Heck yeah. He was funny on the road, man. Yesterday, President Obama moved to suspend Guantanamo Bay trials. What does that mean? Well, so, you know, he has said that he wants to shut down Guantanamo Bay. So he filed a motion that will be reviewed today by military judges saying that he wants to suspend military trials at Guantanamo for 120 days while they review the whole system, how it all works, and how they want to proceed with it.
Crazy for me to think that he did that yesterday in between all the stuff he was doing all day. You know, the meetings and the speeches and the parades. And he went to like 10 inaugural balls or something. It's crazy. It was a long day for them yesterday. And then Ted Kennedy. He collapsed. He collapsed. You haven't heard Boston Rob's voice all morning. You mentioned somebody from Massachusetts. Screw the phones. What about Ted Kennedy? How is he, Skye? It was sad. You know, it was in the middle of the inaugural lunch. And, you know, Ted Kennedy is currently being treated for a brain tumor. Well, in the middle of the luncheon, he had a seizure. And had to be taken out and taken to the hospital. So now doctors say he's doing better. They believe that the seizure was caused by fatigue. And he should be released from the hospital this morning if all goes well. There you go. What else we got? The inauguration people that wanted to watch the inauguration yesterday. They slowed the internet down. That's crazy. So many of them.
Dude, it was nuts. So there's this keynote systems is this place that tracks like website performance and what's going on on the Internet. And they say the top 40 websites in the country slowed down as much as 60 percent. When the ceremony began yesterday morning, they said news sites dropped even slower than 60%. They say it was almost impossible to get onto NPR.org and that CNN.com had to start a waiting list for people to watch their live streaming because they were already above capacity of the people that could watch the streaming. Wow. Sky, did you see on CNN yesterday when they were showing the live coverage, did you see... The dude standing in front of the computer screen with the different pictures that were coming in from thousands of people at the inauguration. Oh, no, I didn't see that part. Stupidest thing I've ever seen. Why? Why was it stupid? It's so stupid. Why? Okay, because CNN has not figured out, you guys, it doesn't work that good. Wait five years if you want to do this technology, because you guys look so dumb trying to show this to us. It's this big computer screen, and apparently people...
Send in pictures from the inauguration and they get all these thousands of photos and they use this sort of technology that puts all the pictures together so that you can sort of pan around and look at the various parts of the audience. Right. And look at different people. And he's like, you know, you can see Steven Spielberg here and you can see all this. Well, here was the dumb part of it. He's standing there and he's got. This screen in front of him and he's taking his hands and he's trying to be all futuristic and everything. He's like trying to swoop it, you know, with his hand and swoop and zoom in by putting his hands there and, you know, squeezing apart. Only when he's swooping, nothing will happen. And then all of a sudden, randomly at will, two seconds later, you know. Like a minority report or something? Yes. That's what they're going for. That's funny. Exactly. Eddie's doing the motion of the hands. Stupid. That's what they're trying to do. And let me tell you, if it worked, awesome. It would look amazing.
But it doesn't. It's slow. He's not dragging anything. Every once in a while, it will drag. Then at one point, he tries to do it, and it zooms in so close, all you see is pixels, and he goes, and you can see that sometimes you zoom in a little too far here, and he's tapping to try to get that out of the screen. I'm like, guys, wait five years. Get this figured out. Try it again in five years. It's like my mom trying to work her digital camera. Did you ever see that? snl skit they did about that during election time they were like making fun of like how they'd have the map and they do all that and so they were like recreating it and they're like and see here we can take california and put it on top of texas nebraska we're just gonna put that in the ocean it's so funny 570-1053 that's our phone number our text number is 35253 and we're getting lots of texts about uh What's gone on with our show? Actor Shia LaBeouf has just officially lost his driver's license from his July car crash that left his hand shattered.
The Red Sox signed closer Jonathan Pample bond to a one-year contract worth $6.25 million, the largest deal in history for a closer who was eligible for arbitration. Sky, what is the deal? With the peanut butter recall. Oh, this thing's a mess, man. So it started with peanut butter made from Peanut Butter Corporation of America. Six people dead, over 470 people sick, affecting 43 states. We talked last week about certain crackers being recalled. Well, now Ready Pack Foods is recalling two of their peanut butter products. The Ready Pack ones are like the ones that give you like fruit and veggies and stuff and you dip them in the peanut butter. They have recalled their apple and they have recalled their celery with peanut butter. If you want a full list of everything being recalled, you can go to the FDA's website, which is FDA.gov. And then on the right hand of that front page, there'll be a link for recalls and alerts. And it'll tell you about everything that's been recalled in regards to this peanut butter deal. Can you send that to Rebecca? Because she gives Jake peanut butter.
Yeah, they say now that the jar peanut butter that you buy in store is fine, is safe. But it's still some products that were processed a while ago with the older peanut butter. Okay. Those are the problems. But, yeah, I'll definitely send her the link. I don't think we have any of that old stuff. But, you know, it doesn't hurt to check. Mikey, my favorite Sean moment was on Mikey Idol when Ayo gave him a taste of his own medicine when they were doing the judging. And he started saying to him. He hopes that Sean gets Pig Latin and Grasshopper Knee. Oh, that's the worst. That was P1 Spaceboy. Mikey, the city of industry is in L.A., and the big rumor is, yes, the Chargers would be moving there. That's P1 JBE. Eddie, you heard this? Not that specific rumor. I mean, there's always the rumor that the Chargers could be moving to L.A., but I haven't heard that specific rumor. And the Chargers are not exactly happy. With the city of San Diego. What? Well, the city of San Diego is suing them. What? Why? That's brilliant. What are you talking about? That's brilliant. For some unpaid money for leasing Qualcomm Stadium from like 2004. Oh, good. But they have a contract with the city where they're not allowed to sue each other. They're supposed to go through arbitration. Oh, yeah. You'd think they would know that before they started to do that. Yeah. The process. Just another.
Black eye. That's another reason for the Chargers to just love the city of San Diego. And, you know, the other cool thing is that we, as taxpayers, would love to spend more money on a lawsuit. Yeah, we love spending money on red tape. Yeah. It's our favorite kind of tape. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you know what? Let's go for it. Mikey, what about the visual of Sean in the John? With no clothes on. Well, the thing is with Sean is that he said that he felt very uncomfortable going to the restroom with all of his clothes on. At home, he doesn't do that, and he would do that in the stall at work. Well, he would take his pants off specifically because he didn't want anything touching the floor. Yeah. Which is such a... But then he would remove his T-shirt, and he would hang it on the hook inside the stall door. And one day he said that a guy came into the bathroom and, you know, Sean's feet are clearly there with his shoes on. And the guy on the stall door. And Sean said he just froze and didn't say occupy. Occupy. I'm in here. Taken. Come in.
So Sean just stays quiet, and he says that, you know, about 10, 20 seconds pass, and then the guy's knocking again to see if there's anybody. And Sean is, like, not making any noise, but he said that he was physically body languaging, like, what are you doing? Like, what's your problem? And next move from the person, guy looked over the stall. And there's Sean sitting there with nothing on but shh. And he's putting his fingers over his breasts. Don't look at me. Just covering the nip-nips. And so we said, what did you do and say? And Sean said he looked at the guy and went, hi. Markable. P1 Kincaid, what's up? Hi, I was wondering if you guys can play Panda Panda one more time for Sean. For old time's sake.
For old time's sake, yes we can. Let's roll it one more time for old time's sake. Good rhythm. I'm in it to win it. It's a sad day for us. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. That's a good-looking ride now out of Escondido down the stretch. South on side of the 5, we've seen some heavy traffic, though, out of Villa Costa still all the way to Solana Beach. The westbound 52, you're fine at a sand tee, but still pretty stacked up underneath the 805 through Sanctumini Canyon. And it slows off that turn off the 52 on the northbound 5, up past the Temple and towards La Jolla Village Drive. Go ahead, Mikey. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show. It is 8.17. On his first full day as president today, Obama will meet with the War Council to discuss Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a weird story. I guess Cardinal fans vandalized Donovan McNabb's Chandler, Arizona off-season home. Whoa. Really? Really weird, but they won the game. It's bizarre. Yeah, apparently, you know, prior to the game, they were hanging, like, flags, cardinal flags around his house, which he thought was funny, and he left it up. Then they left, like, cardboard boxes in his driveway that had, like, cardinal stuff, which he thought was funny and left it alone until last week they poured diesel fuel on his...
uh, grass that said like go Cardinals and things like that and like burned stuff into his grass. And he was like, okay, now it's not funny. Yeah. And, uh, the other real kind of stupid part of that is that, uh, you know, diesel fuel is not very common. And so it's probably going to be, uh, something tells me I bet the Phoenix police figure this one out. Yeah. Um, if you haven't heard the news, Sean and Zeth are not on the Mikey show anymore. Yesterday, there was a bunch of layoffs with Clear Channel. And so we lost a lot of people yesterday. And Sean and Zeth were the two people from the Mikey show that we lost. And close to 50 people in the building here, Clear Channel building here in San Diego, got laid off yesterday. It's in the paper today. And it's just a bummer. This email says, hey, guys, can't believe the news today. Pretty sad stuff. They were a huge part of the show. Does this mean B-Rob's mic time is going to be cut? That's an interesting question because B-Rob is now assuming a couple of more hats. But we're going to get an intern that will be screening phone calls so that Rob can be back in here doing his thing. Going through text messages is not going to be a part of Rob's job description for much longer because in about 10 days we're losing our text messages due to budget cuts.
This email goes on to say, who's going to play the cool clips during the show? We'll have the clips back. We're going to be getting all of our sound effects. Sean's going to FedEx them to us because he has them all and he's in the Bay Area. He's not actually here in the building. He's in the Bay Area. So he's FedExing the sound effects to us and we'll get the sound effects on very, very soon. So that's a very cool thing. This text message says, what about Sean TV? Well, obviously that one's gone. Sean likes watching this TV. Oh, okay. We've always got that, right? We've always got the... Ashley can sing the song. Anytime you need me to be one song. We not only lost Sean, we lost... Oh, we lost one of the OJs. That's crazy. Oh, double over the top. Dude, double over the top. Who are you going to call and reprimand them? I know. Now I don't even have to call them and reprimand them. Who's going to hit it? I know. Who will hit it? He didn't hit it half the time anyway. That's true. That is true. Okay. That is true. I'm just saying, you know, it would really make me mad when he did it. It was kind of irritating, wasn't it? We actually almost fired him because he wasn't hitting it. That's true. Truth be known, we fired him. He didn't hit it. It says we lost one of the skies and we lost the leader of all the piggies out there.
That is true. What about Zeth's cursed car adventures? Great point. Those were great. Who is going to keep tabs on his love life? What love life? Don't worry. We'll give you updates on how he's doing with his fellas. Hey. What? It's not even here. What? What about the mumble jokes, Mikey? I can still do this. What? You think what? You think they're what? Oh, man. That got quieter and quieter. I can't hear you because you're mumbling. Oh, I can't hear you because you're not here. How about this one? Are you telling me that Zeth's salary put Clear Channel at a loss? Thank you. Please. Please. It really, it's... It's ridiculous. It's tough, man. Yeah. I'll kick in the eight bucks. Yeah. How about that? Can we have it back? Thank you. And listen, I mean, if Clear Channel's hearing it...
I sure hope they understand that when you do this stuff, people are going to be hurt by it. It affects a lot more than just us. Sky, I'm having a hard time trying to find a freezer for my house. Can you help? That's P1 Electric. You guys knew what I was saying when I said that. Sky. I didn't mean that they don't exist. I just mean it's an inconvenience to have to buy a second one. A freezer? Oh, really? You're going to get a freezer for your house? Really? Some magical thing that just freezes meat. Oh, really, Mike? I mean, who does that? He would need a second freezer is what I'm saying. And why would you buy one? What are you going to do? Get the DeLorean after 88 miles an hour and fly 100 years in the future? When they freeze meat at your home? Yes. Shut up. Oh, willy-nilly? Yeah. Not today. What happened to the good old icebox, huh?
Mike, just place it in the icebox. Yes. You know, the Iceman comes about quarter to three. Yes. Shut up. Rings the doorbell. Yes. He says, good afternoon, ma'am. It's me, the Iceman. How many blocks for you today? Yes. This icebox in the kitchen, you know where it is. All right. Melvin. Melvin, by the way. Melvin the Iceman. That's right. Ah, yes. Clearly. Mikey, my favorite Sean moment was when Sean had bad stomach problems and Eddie wouldn't stop laughing. I don't remember that. Way more sensitive than that. That's awesome. Mikey, my favorite Sean moment is when he was answering the phones on the 28-hour show a couple of years back. Oh, that was awesome. That was awesome. It was, man. He was screening phone calls and we just had him have the microphone on. He didn't realize the mic was on in there. And so we were just listening in to him screening phone calls, and he was weird. Brutal. Brutal. Really? Sean was weird? No. Mikey, you guys aren't alone in this one. It hurts all of us in the family. That's P1 Trauma. Mikey, gas went up nine cents after the inauguration. Things look good. It's P1 Radio. Way to go, Barack. What do you think, Rob? What's going on there? It's obviously not Wall Street this time. Give him a second.
I think it's Joe Biden's fault. How is it Joe Biden's fault? That guy's just something else. What do you mean? Well, the infrastructure that he's working with is collapsed. Now he's just using words that he thinks will fit. That's ridiculous, dude. Come on. Infrastructure is the first thing that can do is infrastructure. That means you have a fever, right? That's right. It's philanthropists. Okay. Sprained. Chief Justice Roberts screwed up the order of the words initially, making it look like Obama is the one that screwed it up. I agree. It's P1 farty pants. That's true. I read that. Well, they both kind of messed it up. It sounded like he said it right the first time and Obama couldn't repeat it. The guy got flustered and he screwed it up then, but Obama screwed it up first. You said spider. Yeah. They both screwed up. No, they're both right. They're both wrong. It was all Obama. I can't remember two words. Leave him alone. The leader of the freeway. How can they? How can this be? Hey, misplaced anger. Stop it. You're right. This one says, Mikey, how about a moment of silence for Zeth? Get it? That's right.
It's P1 Cools. Oh, man. We would talk to Seth, but we know he's still at the bars. Right? He's probably in jail, if we're being honest. Three people pled guilty to running a San Diego prostitution ring? Yeah. What is that all about? I'm sorry. Rob. Really creepy. Rob Gabonel. Yeah, it was two men and a woman, and I guess they would recruit girls to pose for racy pictures, and then they'd post them on Craigslist. Some of the girls were minors. Some of the girls were minors. Oh, not that link. And then they would set up meetings where they would take money in exchange for sex with these girls. For real? The girls were being pimped? Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah. So the three people running the thing were in court yesterday and pled guilty to felony charges of running a juvenile prostitution ring. So since they pled guilty, it doesn't specifically say here, but normally when people plead guilty, there's some sort of plea deal going on there in exchange for their guilty plea. So they will be sentenced in late March, early April. The openly gay mayor of Portland admitted to lying about a relationship with an 18-year-old. Sorry.
So weird, man. How's that? My bad, okay? Sorry. He said he was 20. He's very mature for his age. I didn't realize. 18 with the body of a 19-year-old. You know it. Weird. So, yeah, back in 2005, this 18-year-old guy... I thought it was weird when he asked me to buy him beer. And to accompany him to Saw 5. Yeah, and I was like... I was like, why? And he was all, and then I was all, and then he was all. Anyway. Do you have any X body spray? But I heard that attracts women. Oh, then forget it. Yuck. Do you have Zach's body spray?
So back in 2005, I guess this 18-year-old was interning for him at the time. The current Portland mayor was 42 years old, and this guy was 17 years old when they met. But the mayor says that nothing sexual happened until after he turned 18. And I guess during the latest mayoral campaign, he asked the kid to lie about their... because there were rumors being circulated that their affair started when he was only 17, and so the mayor didn't... Have you seen milk yet? The mayor didn't even want to go there. Is it? It's great. He liked it? It's great. Is it great? It's great. How many times did it? That's good. Hey, did you know you're adding a syllable before? It's great. Glad you liked it. In Florida? A senior theater actor was injured with a loaded gun that was actually used at rehearsal. Yeah, so they were rehearsing a scene for their upcoming play of Mice and Men.
And I guess one of the actors had picked up a gun that he had borrowed from another cast member to use. Why? Why a real gun? I don't know, Mike. Why a real gun? I don't know. Seriously. They're old, Mike. Yeah, I know, but they got to know when a gun's real. So I guess he didn't realize that it was loaded. And during the scene, pointed the gun at the other actor's head and pulled the trigger. No! Luckily, the shot only grazed the guy's ear and didn't go through his freaking skull. But, yeah. How do you know? Right? Here's the thing. That's crazy. That's nuts. Listen, usually a toy gun feels like a toy gun. I don't know if you've ever held a loaded pistol, but they kind of feel like pistols, you know? They're heavy. Yeah, they got a certain weight to them, you know? Well, he kind of thought it was a real gun and not loaded. He could have just thought it was a real gun and just was really really mad. Hey, Skye, what's up with Beyonce's diva stuff? Yeah, what's up with Sasha Fierce? Well, Sasha Fierce, you know. Talk about it. Oh, no, wrong one. Here we go. What did she do?
Well, so for the inauguration ball, Beyonce sang for the first dance. And she sang Etta James at last, which is gorgeous, by the way. And so earlier in the day, she was rehearsing for the performance. And I guess by the time the rehearsal was finished, by the time they came out, the roads were already blocked off by security and secret service for the president. And so the police told her that her driver could not pull up and pick her up. that she would have to walk four blocks to a spot where her driver could pick her up. And allegedly, she threw a hissy fit. She was in high heels. It was cold out there. She was not going to walk four blocks. She threw such a hissy fit that Secret Service had to get involved. I'd throw a hissy fit if I had to walk four blocks in the cold and high heels. This is her singing My Country. This is Beyonce. No, it's not. Oh, beautiful. No, this was Aretha Franklin. She's good. I take back what I say about Beyonce. She's a good singer. She is. She's like the Queen of Soul or something. No, no, that's again Aretha Franklin. It's a heavy voice, though. Do you see her? Do you see Beyonce's hat yesterday? It was a joke. Dude, she had a big bow hat on. What is she thinking? And why did she bedazzle it? I don't know. You guys.
You guys don't think that it would be crazy for, you guys think it's out of line for a lady, you know, in the freezing cold, be out there in a dress, walking in high heels, you know, like nobody protecting her or anything? Oh, cry me a river. Well, no one said no one was protecting her. Give her a unicycle. Why doesn't she cover herself in millions? That could keep her warm. Good idea, Rob. Oh, so what did she do? What was her fit? She threw such a hissy fit that Secret Service got involved and gave clearance for her driver to pull around and pick her up. I heard they did, like, all choreographed. Hey, there's fishhikers over there, too. Yeah. Pick them up. Morning, family. This is the Mikey Show. Engine. So many things can go wrong with your car. Pretty tough from Camino del Sur getting into the 5 connector. Also finding a slow ride on the westbound 52 underneath that 805 through San Clemente Canyon. 805 northbound. Fine out of the South Bay, but still jammed up out of Kearney Mesa heading up over the 52. And plenty of brake lights on that South 163 coming off the 8th through the park all the way into downtown. Thank you, Talon, for bringing us some food this morning, man. It's very cool. Welcome back. It is 8.38. An investigation has been launched into people allegedly trying to extort the Travolta family by threatening to make false claims about the death of Jet Travolta. I can't believe this story. The Raiders, they're amazing. So remember last week I told you about how they were interviewing their linebacker coach, Don Martindale, and they liked him so much that we're really considering him for the head coaching job? Mm-hmm. Well, now he's not even with the team anymore. He's accepted the linebacking coaching job in Denver. Are you serious? Yeah. Dude, they're what a whacked out organization. They're the worst. Just whacked out. Let's see. I wanted to play you another clip, too, from yesterday. That's the other thing. Our clips, they're going to be a little wacky for a while. Bear with us. We're trying to figure it out. There's going to be a vote in Chula Vista on a sales tax increase. What's that all about? Well, Chula Vista, just like most cities, are hurting for money. But Chula Vista is hurting pretty bad. They've faced a lot of foreclosures. If you go out to that East Lake neighborhood, well, there's a lot going on out there. But anyways, they're hurting and they need money and they have a budget shortfall. I want to know what your thoughts are because there were thoughts going on there, but I don't know what it is.
I don't know. A drive-by. It was like a drive-by. And then we were like, whoa, what happened? It just sucks because it's such a beautiful, gorgeous area out there in Eastlake, but it was developed in the prime of the height of the real estate market, in the height of when people were getting these crazy zero-down loans with balloon payments, interest only, all this and that. So, so many. I mean, you'll drive down some of those streets and it's like every other house is in foreclosure because so many of those people. Came in at the height. The value went down. They got shady loans. They were kind of, you know, lots of people were preyed upon. You know, I was hearing stories on the news about, you know, a specific group of lenders going around to like. low-income housing areas and posting up flyers saying, you can own your own home. You can own your own home. Contact us and get them into these crazy loans. And then, you know, so it's just that part of Chula Vista has really been hard hit by it. And it's such a gorgeous, beautiful area. That's awful. Yeah, it's just upsetting. But anyway, so Chula Vista is projecting a budget deficit of about $20 million a year for the next five years.
So they've been trying to figure out what to do. How can we keep this city afloat? So last night, the city council. Get the chargers. Yeah. Right? Hello. They'll make a lot of money. I think that'll help. Oh, yeah. That's a great idea. They just got to, you know, who's going to put up the money for the stadium? How's that? Yeah. See, that's the problem. Rob, can you do that? I mean, they can maybe just play on a field or something like Southwest College Field or something. Just a thought. I'm throwing it out. They have bleachers. Okay. I'm just throwing it out there. Go ahead. But anyway, so the city council last night approved a resolution saying that it can go to the voters asking for a sales increase. So it'll be a mail ballot. You'll get it in your mail. Oh, great. Now they're discriminating against women. Well, you know, they shouldn't be voting anyway. I mean, come on. It's a little bit true. Just mail. And their suffrage. No. Okay. So the tax rate is currently 7.2%. 75%. It would go up to 8.75%. They say that increase could bring an estimated $20 million a year to the general fund of Chula Vista. Would you guys like to hear a great Sean moment? Oh, please. Yes! In honor of our boy, Shawnee O'Boy. Yes! Who is no longer with the show and Zeth is no longer with the show. People are calling in and thought we'd play an oldie but a goodie. Second chance prom. Really?
Check it out. Come on, Sean. Yeah. I'm not listening. Come on, Uncle Nana. Kick your shoes off and get into it. That's right. Songs for you, Sean. Sean, Sean, what is so wrong? Want to hear? They're super gay, too. A good one, huh? Madonna. Come on, Sean, sing it. Sean, not saying anything. You want some more song, musical taste? Shut up. You can't like that poo. It goes on and on. Yeah. Mr. Mitter. Who's you? Oh, my God. Sean, you want some more songs? Of course, Tears for Queers. Tears for Queers, yeah, that's right. I forgot. Big Tears for Queers hit. Sean's favorite bands? Yeah, every time the audience brings this up, it's always like we're the ones to blame.
No, you were the ones who brought it up. The audience did not bring it up. You guys brought it up. No one is to blame. Just stop picking on Sean. I'm not picking on him. I'm trying to... I'm actually trying to cheer him up. I'm trying to cheer him up. Well, he wasn't upset. I'm trying to communicate with him through 80s music. He likes 80s music. Sean, no more cheers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Sean, isn't there a part of you right now that kind of enjoys hearing this? Oh, that's sweet. No, come on, Sean. Ashley wants to dance with you. Oh, the irony in this song. Imagine that, Sean. Like, you get to sit by the pool, but you can't have a swim. I mean, it really was profound, the things that Howard Jones wrote. Absolutely. The irony in it. I mean, you almost think that Alanis Morissette ripped him off years later.
Sean be the DJ. I think that's a good idea, Eddie. What do you think? I think we do a second chance prom, and the idea behind it is for all you folks that didn't get to go to the prom the first time. Yeah, or had like a bad experience. experience at the prom. Yeah, because, you know, when you think about it, didn't we all have that one prom didn't go the way we wanted it to? I'm sorry, son. Like, we didn't get the boy that we wanted to ask. Yeah. Like, oh, my gosh, yeah. Like, remember, you had, like, a super big crush on that one. Oh, my gosh, Jake Ryan. Yeah. Jake Ryan. Yeah, seriously. You're such an ass. Remember, you, like, totally liked Jake Ryan, but, like, there's no way he's going to cry than you because he wants to cry at Molly Ringwald. Well, yeah. You know, Claire. Yeah. And, like, you knew that was never going to happen. That's why we're throwing the big star 100.7 second chance from our ride. Second chance from. That's right. Now, here's what you do. You guys are idiots. Now that we're not in high school anymore and we're the popular kids. Yeah. Now we can take that awesome person that we're with and we'll have fun our way.
I wonder if somebody's going to spike a punch. Oh, I bet somebody is. Well, we're over 21, so we can drink one. Yeah, good point. That's the thing. That's the thing. I mean, if we are pointing out the obvious, the deal is it's the second chance prom. We're adults now. Why don't you play a prom song? Okay, that's a good idea. I hope you guys have neglected Sean, but he's actually signed off. I mean, he's not even. That's okay. He'll be back. Okay, well, all right. Are you kidding me? This music is like bait for him. That's right. He'll be right back. That's right. And if he hears about the second chance prom, are you kidding me? I mean, you imagine that son of a bitch and the punch all spiked up with something that we bring like a little rum. You're crazy. And you walk in there and now you're all grown up and you're with somebody special and they're hunky and you're hunky. And you're wearing those cool new... Hope you're listening, Jake. That's right. You got that cool new Prada bag because you can afford it. Jake can't. And this comes on. Oh, my God. Second chance Prada. Yeah. It's not a second chance, but you don't get the second chance, Jake. Maggie, if you think that the golf tickets went crazy, what about second chance Prada tickets? Oh, my gosh. When those suckers go on sale, we're going to have to put up a barricade. Oh, my gosh. The barricade's going to be a big old weenie, and people aren't going to be able to craft it unless we...
date, though. Because at Second Chance Prom, we're the cool kids. We make rules. What is happening? Yeah, we're the cool kids now. Screw you, Tinder. That's right. Okay. Vocals. Come on, Shawty, come back to us. Yeah, Sean, sign back on that poopy thing. Yeah. Come on, Sean, we promise you sign back on. It's not going to be one, two, three, all eyes on me. It's going to be all about you. If you come back, I'll vote for you for King of Prom. That's right. We'll make you a big stash that says Uncle Nana. And the winner of King and Queen of Prom is Uncle Nana. Now this dance. Come on, Sean. Sign back on, damn it. Come on. Come to the Second Chance Prom. Cut it out. Please come to the Second Chance Prom. I hate you, Shani. I did that, baby. So upset. I miss him. Maybe he wants to dance, too. Come on, Sean. I want you to think of that serious part of the movie with Madonna and Sean Penn. Back then, remember, your mom probably wouldn't let you watch it. You had to sneak in on BHS. Remember that? Your hair was all back like duckies.
I mean, we were doing a show. Everything was going fine. P1 Chopper. Hello, Chopper? Are you there? Chopper, come on. Talk to me. You son of a bitch. Sean is signed off and is not coming back up. Sean, you know these guys are asshats. Come on. Maybe it's just that, you know, we're not playing the right slow music for him for the second. Maybe it's because you guys have been mocking him for the last half hour. Mocking? We're throwing a prom for him. Should we do another slow dance? I'd like to. Yes, please. I'm in here, Shauna. That's a good one. Come on, Shauna. We're talking about the Rock 105 thing, Mikey Shep, second chance prom. We're going to throw the second chance prom. Eddie and Shauna are doing their slow dance. Oh, that's very sweet. Look how cute they are. Oh, I could cry right now. They're beautiful. To Berlin. Take my breath away. Notice that now Eddie's hand goes all the way around her because she's lost 745 pounds. Seriously. She just spanked his butt. Very, very touching. Mikey Shep. Yeah. Hey, you guys.
No. Oh, boy. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, yeah, this is P1 McPeck. I just wanted to call and say that you guys are so mean to Sean. What? What are you talking about? We're playing 80s music for Sean. Hey, man, 80s music is cool. I like it, too. And I was born in 82, but still. Us, too. I don't know what we've done wrong. Hey, listen. We want to throw the second chance prom for Sean. Yeah. So why are you getting so mad at us? Because guys are teasing him about it. Oh, really? Yeah, exactly. I know who you are, popular girl. Okay? Yeah, you're one of the new girls. Yeah, so we didn't get to hang out at food court at the gallery with you. Ugh. Whatever. Yeah, whatever is exactly right. Because you know why? Because you don't rule a prom this year. We do. It's our second chance prom. Do you have to do that thing with your arms? You guys like music too. That's why we're playing it. I'm going to try a different one. It's the second chance prom. No, you don't have to do any sort of arm movement stance when you say it. No, you have to cross your arms and stomp your foot. No, no. It's a second chance.
Prom. Let's show you popular kids. Yeah. We may have been here back then, but we're not now. That's right. We have jobs at high paying tech firms. Yes. All right. Whatever. Okay. I love you. All right. We may still be really dorky and nerdy, but we have second chance prom. Yeah. All right. Can we just be normal again so Sean will come back? No, no. Let's keep doing this. Come on, Sean. You son of a bitch. Is he not on IM anymore either? Get him some of the Euro stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sean might enjoy dancing to this. Come on, Sean. I'll let you do interpretive dance to this like Napoleon Dynamite. Yes, please. I don't appreciate you guys mocking that midlife. And he's doing the interpretive dance. I'm breathing so hard. I'm breathing fumes. Oh, gosh. Dude, I think we're hot. It's like the 28-hour show all over again. The owner of our boy Shani. That was awesome. That was a funny bit, man. I love it. I had not heard that for, probably since it aired. He's probably still mad about it. But if you haven't heard our boy Shani and Zeth, they're no longer on the show because the budget cuts yesterday. But we love them, man. And we're just kind of like, it sounds so stupid to say we're celebrating them. But we are celebrating them. I don't know how else to say it in a cool way. Other than that, we miss them.

I would like to see him limit the number of judges on American Idol. We used to have three, now we have four. If it's not broke, don't fix it. You know what I'm saying? Dude, and on top of that, I'd like to see him give Paula Abdul a free prescription on any drug she wants because that makes it entertaining. You heard me? Absolutely.

Rock 105.3. Can you hand me my perrier ear? Perrier ear? Oh, sorry. I did that again. It's a huge box he's trying to throw it into. In the box. Quite a ball player. Yeah. Our recycle bin. Yeah, quite a hoops player. I'm grieving. Aww.
We can't use that excuse forever. Yes, we can. All right. Reads the rest of the week, right? Yeah. 570-1053 is the number. What are we grieving? We're grieving that Clear Channel had to cut people, and we lost Shawnee, old boy, and Zeth. We're going to miss them. Somebody texted and wanted to know, you know, well, we call Shawnee every once in a while, like we do with Boy Blunder, who also got fired. Yeah. And we said, of course, man. We'll call him every once in a while, get him on the phone. He did. Yeah. We'll get the big baritone on. Of course we will. Oh, yeah. Before we went to break, I said Usher stole something from Obama. What did he steal? This is such a weird story.
So Usher was talking to MTV News and he said that he was doing a lot of campaigning for the Obama campaign before the election. And he got to meet Obama and actually like get in the car with Obama and ride from, I don't know, from one of the campaigning places to another with him. And so Usher gets in the car and he said he was starving because he didn't really eat all day and that they had been campaigning all day all over the place. And he sees this candy bar sitting on the seat right there. And he looks at it and he goes, he says he looks at it. And then Obama sees him look at it. And then Obama looks at it. And Usher looks at Obama and goes, you're not going to eat that, are you? And then Obama looks at Usher and goes, well, you're not going to eat that, are you? And then Usher said, he said. Well, I'm going to eat it if you don't. And he grabs the candy bar and just starts eating it. What kind was it? He doesn't say, which really upsets me. That bothers me. I want to know. It was a Snickers. It was a Snickers. That's what I was going to say. What? He stole Obama's finger. What are you, Homer? It's a payday. Oh, that was a good one. Too salty for Obama. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
That was really quickly. It was instantaneous. Wait a minute. I don't think you want to say that. I'm grieving. Okay, let's not say that. It's back tonight. Unbelievable. Oh, I'm so excited. I need this. Okay, it's a two-hour episode. Now, when we last saw Lost in May, Jack, Benjamin. In May. Wow. Right? I'm that long. And Ben met up at Locke's funeral and decided that all of the Oceanic Six must return to the island in order to save the rest of the castaways. But the problem is that Ben moved the island in space or in time or something, so they can't seem to find it. So they say season five is going to focus on their quest to try and get back to the island.
And they will also show what's going on with the castaways that are still on the island. You should wait until she finishes and then hit it. And then go. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Oh, man. It's right in the middle of what I was saying. This is his birthday. We really miss Sean. Taking over. It's tough. Two hours tonight from 9 to 11. That's awesome. I'm going to do it, Mike. I am taking a nap and I'm staying up, sister. You're crazy. I think from 8 to 9 they're showing a recap thing. You better get a nap this afternoon later. I'm going to try my best. You did really save up some energy for this one. Lay off the wine. Yeah. I was grieving. Please. Guess who might be free agents this year in terms of the record industry? You got Darren Sproles. No, no, no. I'm talking music. I'm still trying to sign Jason Veritig. Okay. Music. Free agents? Metallica and Pearl Jam. What? Oh.
Free agents meaning no record company? Yes. No more stupid albums from Metallica. Oh, man. You are ballsy. A lot of people were thinking it. Boston Rob at Rock 105, ladies and gentlemen. What does that have to do with whether or not they have a record contract? Yeah. Well, what is the deal? They're sick of them or what? Well, no. So the record contract is up and, you know, people in the music business have kind of been getting fed up with their record companies and doing like a lot of different things with promoters like Madonna and Live Nation and making all these different kind of deals. And like even people have gone so far as like Radiohead. They went outside of their record company and they put their whole album, their whole new album online and told people pay what you think it's worth. Idiots. So stupid. So if you think it should be free, you get it for free. If you think that they deserve five bucks, you pay five bucks. So people are doing a lot of like different things. I mean, who would honestly, who would go?
You know what? I think this is worth $8.73. Right. Honestly, I do. I mean, how ridiculous. Yeah, and like the Eagles, they did a deal where they signed an exclusive distribution deal with Walmart. So, you know, Walmart was the only place to sell their new album. I know that the Chinese Democracy was only sold at Best Buy. I'm over the music industry. I'm over it. I don't want to hear about them. And their problems and their issues and their raising of rates. It's very annoying, all of it. Yeah, so Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Beck are all going to become free agents. So it'll be interesting to see how they go about this. Do they retire? Do they sign with another record label? Or do they do some weird internet stuff? Beck's another one I don't get. Oh, dude, you don't get it. What's not to get about Beck? All right. Don't do it. I'll show you what I mean. Don't do it. Let's talk about it. He's going to do it. Let's talk about it. We're going to talk about it. I know people really, it all sounds like this. I feel like it's a joke I've heard a couple of times. I thought it was funny, but I'm like, hey, dude, come on, you're telling the same joke. Mike, he's a new age Dylan. He is? Yeah. Head on, Eddie. It is? Yes. He's a new age Dylan? Yeah, dude. You just played this, Mike.
No, this one's different. No, he just played it. You know what? Okay, somebody will... Not like he's the Deftones or something. I deserved that. I have a question about Beck's music. Talk about it. Does he play instruments or what does he play? Does he hold a bunch of turntables in his hands and he plays those? What's going on with his music? He puts cymbals between his knees and like... Yeah, like a monkey. What is the deal? What is the music? I don't know. You're cool. You go smoke pot at concerts. I am, right? I have not been cool for many years, my friend. That's true. There was a day. One day? You played this one already. I didn't, actually. Rob just pointed one out and he was like, definitely play this one. See, like, what's the deal? Does he have a DJ that comes up with these beats? I think you're supposed to have, like, you're supposed to drive a van and listen to this, I think is the deal. He used to be Cake, right?
Yeah, right? Yeah. Before they broke up? When he was born, he was cake, and then he grew up, and he got to be Beck. Beck, yeah. Come on, you guys. Yeah, same people. Cupcake for a little while. Cupcake. I like this song. Oh, yeah, dude, play loser. Play loser. Hey, if he doesn't play loser in the next three songs, we'll leave him. It's my anthem. How many times has that been said at a Beck concert? If he doesn't play loser in, like, the next two songs, can we go? Right. I liked him when he was president of the United States. That's when he was good. That was my favorite fact. There's a little Everclear in it with a little, little. I will buy you a mountain. A mountain. Yeah. When your flower's in bloom. Oh, that's good on. My friend likes to drink some wine on regular nights. I haven't had.
I've had a drink in like over a month. Shot it, Sky, for no reason. I have it. I will get you some white wine. Oh, it was so good. A little Chardonnay. A little Chardonnay. Yep. Mikey, so much for Hit It in 09. Aww. Aww. Let's be one Jordan Allen. Mikey, it's been weird listening to the show today. feels almost empty without Sean or Zeth. I'm going to miss them. That's P1 Smiley. Here's the thing. Today, we don't have our sound effects, which bums me out, you know, because it's just kind of like, okay, guys, here's the deal and have fun, you know, deal with it. And it's hard to deal with because we don't have the sound effects. We're doing the best job that we possibly can today without them, but we'll have them soon and the show will start to sound more and more like it normally does really soon. But we don't have him today. It's like saying, oh, yeah, go out on the field, but we're not going to let you play with your tight end. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, but we kind of need that. Yeah, we need him real bad. He's a big part of the offense. Mikey, this is an outrage. I'm going to the zoo to get help. Yes. That is the place to go for help. It's a P1 jump start. I tell you what. Pandemonium. Let's see. Two limited edition Metallica guitars are going to be unveiled.
Actually, they were, right, Sky? Uh-huh. Over the weekend, they were unveiled. ESP, which I guess is a guitar company. I had to Google it. Very nice one. I didn't know. Yep. You know who used to play those? My brother, Gabe. That's what you were thinking of, right, Mike? Our friend from Systematic. Adam, that was the guitarist for the lead guitarist. That's what you were going to say, right, Mike? I used to play one. Yeah, so there was a convention over the weekend in Anaheim and they unveiled these two limited edition Metallica guitars. One's a replica of Kirk Hammett's Ouija board guitar. There will be one in black as well as one in white. I agree. I am sorry. And the other one is based on James Hetfield's Iron Cross guitar. Iron Cross. Here are some of the... We're already starting to get texts about... All right, let's hear it. Mikey, he's one of the most impressive multi-instrumentalists. Is that a word? Here are the instruments that he's played on his albums. Okay. Piano. Oboe.
Vocoder. Triangle. Piccolo. Bass synthesizer. Keyboards. Harmonica. Harmonium. Thank you. The armpit fart. Hand claps. Oh, that's a tough one. Slide guitar. Percussion. Humming. Clavinet. I got peanut butter stuck to my clavinet. Really? Yeah. And I was like, I was trying to get it off. I built a ramp out of like bricks and like cardboard. Yeah. And I jumped it on my bike and broke my clavinet. Oh, ouch. That must have taken a while. Ruined my summer. My favorite summer away was when I went to band camp and played the clavinet. Really? It was great. Oh, fine. See, that one doesn't really work because it's an instrument. But go on. Sky! I'm in mourning. I know. The man is mourning. I'm just saying a body part. Sorry, Mike. She's drunk. It's the wine. It's the wine. It's the wine talking. She's a mean drunk. She's a very mean drunk. She lashes out. He also plays the Celeste.
Which was the girl that I had in homeroom that one time. Yeah, I've been complimented on my Celeste. You have? Yeah. Very nice. Thank you. Hello, this is my Celeste. Take a look at these. Celeste. Celestialante. Love the pizza. Drum machine. He played the drum machine. I love the pizza. The Wurlitzer. Mike, okay, you can't just make things up now. There's only three left. The DiGiorno. The Kazoo. The Groove Box. Oh, Groovy. And the Leaf Blow. Okay, get out of here with that. He sounds like an idiot. I think that they should have just made names up. The Penundrum. He played the Penundrum. Yeah. He played the Planicle. The Niggly Doo. Yep. The Zavroft. The Knuckle Phone. Yes. Oh, my gosh.
Toesbone. He played a Toesbone. The Zamberino. The Zamberino. P1 Ken, what's up? Yo, yo. Yo, yo. Hey, so I wanted to make a comment about the whole independent record sales thing. Go ahead. Basically, when you're in a band and you're signed by a major label, you don't make any money off CDs regardless. It's like a fraction of a penny you make all your money during tour. That's what I've heard. So basically, actually, Radiohead probably made the most money they've ever made, even if people were paying like 25 cents for the CD on that particular album. Well, so you're saying, okay, so the record company didn't get any cut of that when they did that? No, because they were a free agent. No, because they released it independently. See, that's the story. So they set up basically, almost in a sense, like their own PayPal account through Radiohead. Why didn't they charge a dollar? You know, a lot of credit card companies are going to charge the fee regardless. Because you know that there was a ton of people that got that album, didn't pay for it. By the way, I can't tell you a song by Radiohead. Creep, right? Creep. Okay, besides Creep, all I know is really smart people that like music are like, dude, Radiohead, okay? They're the best. I'm like, okay, I use a Mac. Is that enough? No, no, dude, you gotta listen to Radiohead. Well, basically, like, for me, I play music, and my band, we don't have any interest signing with a major label, because at this point...
Everybody's tanking anyways. Independent labels are just the way to go because you get good tours, you actually make money off your merchandise, and you get fan exposure, whereas if you sign with a three-album deal with Interscope, you get backlined. Dude, I'm telling you, all this stuff is so interesting to guys that play instruments and are in a band, but I'm telling you, everybody outside of that, we don't care. We're just like, you know... Whatever, music industry. Do your thing. Whatever. Yeah, they seem rich enough. You seem rich, and we don't really care about... We just want to hear your guys' music. We like your music, and that's all we care about. You play music for a living. Dude, that's cool, man. What's great about MySpace now is that you really don't need to go out and buy a CD because you can discover new bands that aren't even big. You want to plug your band? I would love to. Go to myspace.com slash watch us burn music. Sweet. Nice. All right, bro. God bless. Have a good one. Thanks. I heard this music the other day. I was like, I would play it on the air, but I know you guys would be like, dude, that's weird. Rachmaninoff? It is not Rachmaninoff. Rachmaninoff. Why does he do that? I don't understand what he's doing. If he were in the room right now, I'd punch him in the face. Oh, that'd be awesome. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Amco, your check engine light on.
