Mikey described the frightening moment his toddler Jake climbed out of his crib, while expectant father Eddie discovered at Babies R Us how little he understood about newborn gear. Eddie's first Mantidotes turned relationship and household questions into absurd macho advice, and Alex's distress over Janice's engagement sparked a serious argument about unresolved love, new partners, and the desire to outperform an ex. The show mixed sports and entertainment disputes, including a 100-0 high-school basketball game, The Wrestler's resemblance to Jake the Snake Roberts, Rod Blagojevich's grandiose self-defense, and Patti LuPone stopping Gypsy over a photographer. Its strangest stories involved Yusef Evans suing over a stripper's flying boot, the crew's horrified botfly-video binge, and the retelling of Skye's infamous sunburn and urine-remedy saga.
What happened, in order
Jake Escapes the Crib
Mikey and Rebecca heard a thump after letting Jake cry, then discovered that he had climbed out of his crib, opened his door, and reached the hallway.
The Wrestler Resembles Jake the Snake
Eddie argued that The Wrestler closely mirrors Jake the Snake Roberts's decline and estranged-daughter story from Beyond the Mat, before reacting in disbelief to Mickey Rourke's proposed WrestleMania appearance.
Eddie's Mantidotes Debuts
Eddie launched his mock manly advice feature by telling nervous men to fart in the shower, flex hundreds of times at the gym, and burp Black Sabbath to avoid doing dishes.
The Flying Stripper Boot Lawsuit
Yusef Evans sought $25,000 from Akron's XTC club after dancer Tiara's boot flew off during a pole move, hit his nose, and allegedly left him needing surgery.
A Couch Jump Ends a Baseball Season
Minor-leaguer Marcus said a drunken jump from a couch wrecked his knee, and his father's quiet statement that he was disappointed hurt more than yelling would have.
Eddie Faces the Baby Registry
Eddie entered Babies R Us excited to register but panicked when unfamiliar items such as Boppies, sleep positioners, breast pads, bottles, and organic crib gear exposed how unprepared he felt.
Alex Cannot Let Janice Go
Alex admitted that his ex Janice's engagement still bothered him after two years, prompting arguments over unresolved love, competitiveness with exes, and whether his current girlfriend was merely a substitute.
The 100-to-0 Sportsmanship Fight
The hosts debated the firing of a high-school basketball coach whose team won 100-0, distinguishing mercy toward children from their belief that paid professionals should keep competing at full strength.
Blagojevich's Grand Comparisons
The hosts mocked Rod Blagojevich for invoking Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, Mother Teresa, angels, and saints while defending himself against corruption charges and impeachment.
Patti LuPone Stops Gypsy
Patti LuPone halted a performance of Gypsy to demand that a photographer be removed, leaving the hosts split between respecting theater rules and marveling at her explosive interruption.
The Botfly Video Spiral
Mikey played botfly-removal videos while Eddie and the others recoiled at larvae living under human skin, and callers explained how the flies use mosquitoes and how bacon or petroleum jelly can draw them out.
Skye's Legendary Sunburn
A caller revived the story of Skye's medicated, re-exposed sunburn, her mother collecting her from work, the Kaiser helpline suggesting urine, and the crew relentlessly disputing her claims of swelling and nerve pain.

Welcome to the program. It's 6.04. The movie Slumdog Millionaire and the TV show 30 Rock were the big winners last night at the SAG Awards. Torrey Pines grad Pat Perez wins the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic after 197 winless starts. Oh, wow. Pretty cool. Wow. Guy was in the zone. Yeah. Welcome to the program. You can call us 570-1053. That's our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Yes, sir. This is Brian. That's not what I wanted. How about this? I think this is what I wanted. I just want to make sure that my audio is working right. Because, you know, we're working on a whole new deal here. No, that is not working. But I think it's because I don't have it plugged in. Oh, my. I'm learning. I'm learning. I'm new to radio. You are new. Don't have Shawnee on the show anymore or Zeth. And so we're getting it figured out. It takes a little time. There we go. That's perfect. All right, so yeah, let's get it started. 570-1053 is our number. Our text number is 35253. It's going to be hard for me to get out of the habit of not saying that part. You know what I mean, the text number? Yeah. Because at the end of the month, they said they're going to stop doing the text, and I'm so used to saying the text number after the phone number. That is so weak. I know it.
I hope we can find a way to get that back. Dude, I'm telling you. Because the texts are great. I love getting texts from everybody. And so take advantage of it while you can. 35253 is that text number. And then you can call us, 570-1053. I'm excited about today for a lot of reasons. But one of them is today we begin the first day of Eddie's Mantidotes. Oh, no. Which is going to be pretty awesome. Oh, no. Dude. I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be. Oh, man. Okay. And we're also welcoming somebody to the show today in one of the strangest turn of events in the history of turning of events. Wow. Is your mic working in there? Oh, boy. Oh, listen to that. Quimby is screening phone calls right now. Oh, no. Get out. I know. This is weird, man. I know. It's really weird. Here's the deal. A lot of people may be asking themselves, what's the deal with a phone screener if you had to get rid of a phone screener? I don't know, man. Honestly, I have no idea. You know what? I should have asked Shauna, our program director, what do I say? Because that's kind of weird, don't you think, Shauna? Well, do they still want us to eventually get an intern to do that position?
I don't know, Skye, honestly. Because that's what I thought. I don't know, I didn't talk to anybody, but I just thought that they'd pay a board op as a little band-aid until we set up an intern who will work for college credit. Well, P1 Quimby is an employee of this radio station who works as a board op, right, Quim? Yes, indeed. And so that's the deal, you know? She's a board op. And so I think what they're going to do is they're going to put various board ops in there to screen phone calls. But we're stoked when it's Quim. Yeah. She knows the show real good. Yeah, Farley asked me to do it for the week, if possible. He's like the board op boss, right? Yep. There you go. I heard Spaceboy's doing sound effects. Is that right? I don't know. He has all of them. But I don't know. But I don't know. This is interesting. That's what I heard. And let's see. Ash, what page are effects on? I haven't even began to load those yet. Oh. There's so many. It's crazy. We'll get them in there. It's going to be great. It's going to be a process, but we will. We're going to be very slowly but surely getting the show back to sounding the way that it did a week ago today. If not better. That's right. That's what I'm talking about, everybody. Take it down. You take it up a notch, lady. How about that?
How about you? How about that? Something called the case of the moon day. You got a new shirt? What are we rocking? It's great. It's great. Oh, my. I love it. It's Mr. T. And it says, when punks start hassling decent people, I make it my bidness. Thank you. And it is bidness. Yeah, with a D. How about that? That's right. My philosophy. That's sweet. I like it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I like it. We'll have that clapping sound. Thank you. Thank you. Our phone lines, 570-1053. And text us to 35253 is the text. Love to hear from you. Couple of things. Super Bowl's this weekend. Yesterday was the weird day. You know, where I don't feel like there's anything to watch. I didn't know what to do with myself. I know it, you know. I didn't like it. There was no football on TV, which was just weird. And then next weekend there will be, and then we got a drought. Yeah. So enjoy until baseball comes pretty soon. Oh, wrong. Yes. That's right. So we'll be talking about that. Let's introduce everybody. Okay. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. And I am 38. Made some.
Homemade tortillas yesterday. Get out of here. Yeah, that's right. Wow, you're Mexican. Very. Very. I brought some in. And, you know, on a scale of 1 to 10, they're a eh. Really? Yep. But I'll figure it out. Where does that fall between 1 and 10? Right in the eh. Okay. Yeah, well, thanks. It's right below, mm. All right. And, you know, it's definitely above, ugh. Okay, well, that's good. You know what I mean? That's a good thing, yeah. Yeah, all right. I'm a very tough judge on myself with making stuff. But I was following directions that are very basic, very simple. That's a crow flies. Yeah, I've heard that. And what I found is that just like every single recipe in the history of the known world, it's never quite exact, you know? You always go, well, that doesn't work. You've got to put a little bit more of this, a little bit more of that. Where did you get the recipe? Off the intranet. Oh, no. Hey, dude. No, no, no. Let me tell you why. You want to know why I was good with it? It used the word gomal. And I was like, hey, listen, that's got to be authentic. They said gomal. I'll send you my family recipe. Yeah. It's super easy and they're spot on. Let me tell you, bro. My mom, God bless her. She's losing her memory and all that stuff. Oh, man. She came over. That woman can still roll some tortillas. There's no doubt about it. It's like riding a bike. Yeah.
But when it comes to the actual remembering of like how much and all that, forget it. She was the queen, but it's gone. But I'll get your recipe and I'll try that. That's good. You know, I enjoyed it. It really got me back to my roots and all that stuff, you know? Yeah, when I was like kneading the dough, I just, I felt so brown. Brown and in town, man. Isn't that the same? And you felt so brown. Yeah, felt so brown. By the way. And ready to get down. Were you drinking an orange soda and shooting your gun off? Yes. Yes, I was. Perfect. I was sipping some rice drink. Oh, that's good stuff, man. With a little bit of cinnamon in it. It was just great. Eddie, do you know what canela is? Canela. Uh, no. Our babysitter lives in Mexico, and I grew up smelling that on weekend mornings, and I asked her to get me some. You can get it here, but...
My dad says it's way better if you get it from Mexico at an open market where you choose your own. It's just cinnamon sticks. You break them up into water, and it makes tea. It's like a cinnamon-flavored tea. Rob, forget about it. You'd be in love with it. You'd take a bath in it. So is it hot, cold? Hot. Dude, you'd love it. You'd love it. Do you still have some? Yeah. I'll give you some. It's great. And I'll show you how to do it. Because horchata is my favorite drink ever. This isn't horchata, though. Oh, wow. Cinnamon, cinnamon. What the heck just happened? Somebody put a popsicle stick in her mouth. Make sure she doesn't swallow her tongue. Weird. No, this is like, this is genuinely like tea. You know, like iced tea, but, you know, hot tea. It's like hot tea. I got the hot and the cold today. Yep. There you go. I love tea. I'm hoping everybody at my place isn't getting, you know, the ick again. No. Yeah, because Jake, well, because Jake had a runny nose and was so, he was crying. Oh my gosh, you guys. Last night. So Jake is doing this thing where he's crying and he's kind of getting into a habit of it where he's waking up in the middle of the night and doing that. And when you got to break the habit, you can't keep going in there. You know what I mean? So we're like, you know, midnight last night, he's crying. We're like, we're going to let him cry it out. Bam. We hear this big thing. That kid crawled out of his crib. First time last night.
Which I'm sure a lot of parents get. When your kid gets big enough to where he can start doing stuff, he got out of there. That little monkey. And the next thing you know, and we bolted up, man. We both bolted up. And it was hard enough letting him cry it out. Then we hear this thump. And the next thing you know, man, he's in the hallway. I know it. He went to his door, opened his door, went out in the hallway. And you're just like, you're... kneeling there with him and comforting him and just different things are running through your head you're like first of all I'm so sad he's so upset and then you're like I can't believe that he's grown to this point you know how did he do that and don't do that anymore kid I'm telling you man and so but anyway he had some sniffles and Rebecca's got some And I've got some, and we're all trying to figure out if it's just our sinuses or if it's something. So anyway, 570-1053 is a phone number. Call us right now. Text us at 35253. I am 38 years old. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He is 35 and is expecting his first kid. And we don't know. We don't know. Boy or girl, he doesn't know. He's not going to find out.
Oh, boy. Oh, yeah. Or girl. Skye is, yeah, she's 31. And she is our news girl. And Benjamin Button. That's right. And Benjamin Button. Ashley is our assistant producer. And she is 25 years old. What's your t-shirt say, Ash? It says, kiss your dog daily. There it is. I hope you guys enjoy that. For Eddie. For Eddie. Just to remind you if you get a dog to kiss him daily. That's gross. Warming heart. And then Boston Rob is the kid in front of us wearing the sweatshirt. What did you say? It's not nice. Don't make him repeat. I don't want to hear it then. Was it hurtful? It was extremely hurt. Oh, no. Uh-oh. It's a guy. Okay. Well, I mean, when you're saying to wear shirts. He's working on it. Promoting bestiality. It's not bestiality. Maybe it's like Randy Jackson dog. Like kiss your dog. Oh, that's what it is. It's missing a G. It's missing a G. Kiss your dog. You guys can see the picture of the actual dog. Yeah. You guys, it's the animal we're talking about. That's right. In a friendly way. That's right. Of course. Like the way Mike.
Yeah. I don't know about that. Well, actually, Mike did kind of cross the line. A little bit. Obviously, different time. Rob is our... Eddie, what is Rob? Our what? Our guy, our buddy. I do everything that you don't see. That's not true. That's not even a little bit true. That's like a complete lie. That's a lie. You don't do anything. Yeah. All right. I do a lot. He does stuff. He does stuff. When you go home, I... Ashley does all that. Oh. Yeah. Rob is wearing his UMass sweatshirt and his Boston Red Sox baseball cap. And we got Quimby squeening phone calls. Oh, he's waiting. So, if you want to get squeened, then... Call her right now. 570-1053 is the number. P1 Brandon is on the line. What's up, Brandon? How much? How are you guys doing? Good, man. Hey, I just want to get your guys' opinion on this, but this question is kind of for Eddie since he has an inside track. I just want to know how you feel about the NFL talking about putting in the Pro Bowl a week before the Super Bowl next year. Whoa. Yeah, I got mixed feelings about it.
It's tough because I would assume that the people that are playing in the Super Bowl will not then play in the Pro Bowl. So that is a little weird that you make it to the Super Bowl and there's a lot of stars like Larry Fitzgerald and guys like that, James Harrison, the defensive player of the year that won't play in the Pro Bowl. So that's kind of odd. It seems so not... Yeah. Good thinking. I don't really care for that. But it would give us football in between the championship game and the Super Bowl, which would be nice. So this weekend would have been the Pro Bowl, and we would have actually had some football to watch. So I'm mixed about it. Hey, thanks for the call, dude. I appreciate it. All right, thanks. P1 Joe Mama is on the line. What's up, Joe Mama? Straight to the point. I live in Marietta. I drive to Escalito for work. I'm next to the checkpoint. My truck broke down. Are you serious right now? This just happened? It just happened maybe 15, 20 minutes ago. I just got off with my AAA insurance and I'm waiting for them right now. Well, hey, at least you got the Mikey show. That's the bright side. For sure. And that's why I was calling it because I was listening to you talk about your homemade tortillas and the whole yuck and news. That's right.
That's awesome, dude. There you go, dude. Hey, thanks for the call, man. I appreciate it. A P1 Reaper's on the line. And Reaper, tell everyone listening that may be a new listener. Tell everybody what a P1 is. A P1 is somebody who listens exclusively to the Mikey Show, doesn't swear, and gets straight to the point. Right on. Bam! Right on, dude. What's going on? Just wanted to say I love all you guys. What's going on, Mikey? Hey, dude. We love you back. I just wanted to say, dude, I totally feel you, like, on your little kid waking up in the middle of the night. Yeah. I'm the oldest of six children. I'm 24 years old. My youngest two sisters are 10 and 7. Oh, wow. And my parents are workaholics, and it pretty much got to the point where I was mom and dad for my youngest two sisters. They wouldn't go to sleep for my parents in the middle of the night. They'd have to wake me up and do it. Yeah, one night my parents weren't home. My youngest sister woke up, so I was like, all right, you know what? I've had to get up like three or four times that night, so I was going to let her cry. So she crawled out of her crib, walked down the stairs into my younger other sister's room, and fell asleep with her. Wow. Dude. I mean, it's just a trip, man. It must have tripped you out. It just trips you out. You're like, uh...
Oh, no. Like, we have to reevaluate things here. Well, yeah, because, like, that's pretty freaky. Like, what do you do? Do you, like, have to have a stern talking with him that's not okay? Because, like, in this guy's case, he probably went to go check on his little sister. She's not in the crib, and you freak out. Oh, I flipped out because I went and checked on her, like, 5 o'clock in the morning. She was gone. Yeah, right? Well, we have a, we got a monitor in there. So, you know, and it's got a, it's a little video monitor so we can see. Okay. And so we'll know. But. But besides that, he was already at the point where we were ready to change from the crib. The crib converts to a little kid bed, toddler bed. That's cool. And so that's what we're, you know, we're ready to do that with him. You know, I mean, he's benching 350 now. Oh, well, then it's time. That's a sign, Mike. I mean, when he was at 275, we're like, I think we're still good. Yeah, the baby books say 350. They say when the kids can bench 350, you know, it's time to make the move. Hey, thank you, brother. I appreciate the phone call. Hall of Famer P1 T-Rex on the line. Oh, no. What is up? At TiVo, it's going to be the fight of the year. I pull up TiVo, and I notice only 30 minutes has recorded.
What fight are you talking about, T-Rex? The Faber-Pulver fight. How did that go? The Faber-Pulver fight. Yes. It did not tape for you? Nope. Oh, dude. What happened to your DVR? It cut out. Oh, it cut out before it ended? Yeah. It only recorded 30 minutes of the whole fight. Oh, wow. That's weird. You must be out of time on your DVR. No, I have 18 hours left. Oh, wow. Eddie, what was the outcome? Well, boy. Should we talk about it later? Should we save it? It's up to you. You know what? I'll tell you what we're going to do because Eddie says there was some controversy. And so why don't we wait? And when we come back from our first break, we'll let you know what the outcome was. and what the controversy was. Cool. That's some good news there. How about the Shea Mosley and Margarito fight? My dad was a little upset about that. My dad was a little upset about that. That turned out to not go my dad's way. No, not at all. Shea Mosley dominated. He came out.
He came out with a purpose and was like, you know what, I'm going to fight. And I wish all boxers would do this. Came out and go, you know what, I'm going to fight from the opening bell. And I'm not going to dance around. I'm not going to let the fight, you know, kind of, you know, how they kind of dance around a little bit to feel things out. And he didn't. He was like, you know what, I'm throwing from the opening bell. And he threw, you know, for seven rounds and just, you know, knocked the hell out of Margarita, which was pretty awesome. My dad was saying that he thought it was a really good fight and he thought that Shane Mosley was really great and he fought a great fight. And my mom said, you know, I thought that you said that the other guy was really good. And my dad says, well, he is, Esther. And she said, well, why didn't he win? And my dad said, well, because Shane Mosley was a better fighter that night. And my mom said. How can he be that? And my dad, it's just 52 years they've been married. And he's trying to ask himself, what's this about right now? Why? Why? That's bad enough. All right. Well, thank you, T-Rex. I'm a man. I'm 40. We appreciate it. Yes, exactly. You know what I mean? P1 Mikey Twin is on the line. What's up, Mikey Twin?
By the way, I'm sorry about that. What's up, dude? Hey, I just want to tell you that my son jumped out of his crib when he was about two and he broke his upper arm. Don't tell Mike that. Don't say things like that. He's fine. He's fine. Why would you do that? He's okay. But there's a bone jetting out. Certainly experiencing hurt, sadness, and fear there, aren't I? Aren't I? Mike's a paranoid papa. Don't say no. Well, listen, I'm sorry about that. Jake's made of rubber. Yes, Jake is made of rubber. This guy's crib was 12 feet tall. Yes. That is right. They slept in a treehouse. And they don't have carpet. They, like, have cement as their force. That's right. That's right. Jagged rocks. That's right. Jagged rocks. Well, I will say to that, sir, thank you for the heads up. Thank you.
I will have to look into not letting that happen. Mike's going to go home and install a trampoline all the way around. You got that right. That's smart. You got that right. Sounds like fun. Here are some of the text messages that we're getting. Eddie, I owe you a beer. I heard you... I accept. Thank you, Mike. No, no, no. Not me, Eddie. Oh, I thought you just said you owe me a beer. No, no. Text message. Text message. Okay. I heard you picked Mosley in the fight this weekend, and I put money on it. You made me a lot of money. Thanks, bro. Nice. That's P1 Rodrigo. That was pure luck. I really didn't know. But I like Shane Mosley, and I thought he was going to come out and win that fight. There you go. You guys are the greatest thing to happen to radio, Mikey Show. Save the texts. Thank you. That's P1 Care Bear. Care Bear wants us to somehow be able to save these text messages to come in. I do, too. Maybe we could just like every other day give someone else's number out and someone will be in charge. So like one day Sky will give her phone number out and then you guys can just, parents can just text Sky's number. Who has unlimited texting here? You know, I have it. Maybe you can text me and then I'll just, you know, forward them to you. Yeah, that's a good idea. Okay. There we go. I like it. All right. This text message says,
Hey, guys, it's Quimby. I'm right over here in the other studio. I just wanted to text while I can. It's P1 Quimby. I appreciate that, Quimby. I appreciate that. And it's a good idea. You might as well while you have the opportunity. You know what I mean? Mikey, I thought tortillas grew on trees. That's P1 Ashley. Well, don't know what to say about that one. Ashley. Let's see. Mikey, what will B-Rob do after the texting stops? Hey, Sky, is this the change that you wanted? That's P1 Obama. So we appreciate that right out of the bat. I'm sure Rob will focus more on his Sky jokes. That's right. He'll have more time. Well, time to drink tea. Mikey, I'm a new P1. Who is Quim? When will she be on the website or will she? That's P1 Sirius. P1 Quim is a Hall of Famer. And Quim is just the abbreviated name of her legal name on her birth certificate, Quimby. Yes, P1 Quimby. That's right. P1 Quimby. She's a Hall of Famer. And she got hired at the radio station about a month ago. About a month ago? Like two. Two months ago. I'm a pro. That's right.
And she's good. She's screening phone calls. She's real good. That's right. I try. Mikey, don't get rid of the texts. What else am I supposed to do during work? That's P1 Bang Bang. Play on Facebook. Eddie, what did you think? Oh, no. The downfall of our civilization. Mikey, ask Eddie, what do you think of that tweak? What did you think of the week ending at the WEC main event last night? This is P1 Home Wow. And he's got to wait. You got to wait. He's going to give you the details on it. Controversy. Dude. Calm down, everybody. Well, it was crazy. Calm down. You'll be fine. Okay. We'll find out what that's all about. I am not fine. You are. Let's see. P1, Cecilia. Oh, I love her. Oh, no. I love her. This isn't your guardian angel, Cecilia, Ashley. Go ahead, Cecilia.
I wanted to know that you were saying that you thought your tortilla recipe was authentic. Did you actually use manteca? I didn't use manteca. I used Farmer John, for real. Really? Yeah, I used Farmer John lard. Okay. I didn't see the manteca or I would have got it. That's like the for real Mexican lard. You know what I mean? That's right. Where do you get it, Cecilia? Thanks. Okay. Oh, no. I don't know what to do. I mean, I did the best I asked. I'm sure you can go to a Mexican market. That's my favorite. We have quite a few around here. Yes, we do. P1BigJohn has an idea about my son crawling out of the crib. What do you think? I was thinking a great tip to help you prevent Jake from crawling out of the crib. Those little spikes around the edges that they use in SeaWorld. Yeah, that ought to do it. Yeah, for the birds, right? For the birds. Yeah, you know. For the birds to stop the birds from landing, I think it'd be great. I like it. You can't discount anything, you know? You've got to try everything. That sounds safe. You know what I'm saying? You should really try that. It's hygienic. It'll work perfectly. It is. It's sterile. You can put a bunch of broken bottles around, like in way of the gun. Yeah, way of the gun. It worked there. These are all ideas. That's right. No idea's a bad idea. That's right. There's something to think about. Thank you, brother.
Hey, P1 Scooby's on the line. There he is. There he is, ladies and gentlemen. What's going on, Scoob? Hey, man, I wanted to ask you guys, Eddie or Mikey or even Rob, what do you guys thought of the Joe Torre thing, putting the Yankees out there? Yeah, what do you guys think about this, man? What happened? Joe Torre in the book. I think he's going to write a book, like a tell-all book about the Yankees. Oh, yeah. Well, the cover of the New York Post today says that Joe Torre is basically, you know, blasting everybody on the Yankee organization. Good, dude. You know, calling A-Rod a prima donna. They screwed him over, man. Yeah. Well, it's kind of a weird story because the Post is saying this, right? But I guess Joe wrote it with this other guy. And the guy that he wrote it with made a statement saying, hey, these aren't Joe's words. These are my words describing time that Joe spent with the Yankees. And it's interesting, too, because there is no quotes in the Post article. There is no quotes. You know, you would think that they would list some quotes from the book of Torrey saying, you know, A-Rod was one of the biggest blah, blah, blahs I ever met. But I didn't like that.
And so is it the Post just trying to create controversy or is it really true? Well, there are quotes from the Daily News, the New York Daily News. They have quotes. What do they say? They say that from the book called The Yankee Years, teammates frequently called Alex Rodriguez a fraud. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the ones I'm talking about. But these quotes. Our only quotes from the book. And what I'm saying and what this guy is saying is that this guy that wrote it with him, he says, Joe never said these words. These are my words. And so these quotes. Who is this guy? This guy that wrote the book with him. Oh, this one says, Torrey also says Yankees general manager Brian Cashman betrayed him on several fronts. So, I mean, that seems like a quote from Torrey. Hey, listen. I don't know. I mean, you have to think of it this way. No matter what, hey, Joe, you approve this, right? I mean, this is a book that's about... It's Joe Torrey's book, right? Yeah, you know what I mean? So, it's a pretty crazy story, though, man. That is awesome. Really crazy story. I can't wait to read that. Hey, thanks, Scoob. We appreciate it, man. I thought it was hilarious. Yeah, and we know that Rob does, too. Oh, yeah, dude. For sure. 570-1053 is our number. That's what I'm talking about right there.
570-1053 is the number. The text number is 35253. If you want to read our blogs, go to MikeyShow.com. And don't forget, a couple of things I want you to know about. Every single day now, Ashley's doing the Mikey Minute. For those of you that have no idea what Ashley looks like, you can see Ashley doing the Mikey Minute every day where she describes what we did on the show. And then also she's doing the Ashley After Show, which is where she grabs a member of the show and asks them, how do you think it went today? And if we have guests, Then she grabs the guests and she says, how do you think the interview went today? It's pretty cool. The first ever Eddie's Mantidotes is today on the show. And so if you... Well, here's the deal. Occasionally, Eddie will get... I love him. Sorry, I do. Accept her. I don't want to, though. But she said that's why she does it. Accept her. I don't feel like it. And if you say you accept her, then maybe that will chill out a little bit. You know what I'm saying? I just can't. You can't do it. You can't do it, though. Well, occasionally people will write in and they'll say to Eddie, Eddie, what do you think I should do about this, this, or this? And these are, Eddie's a guy's guy, so these will be Eddie's perspective on what you should do. You know what I'm saying? I'll make a man out of you yet. That's right. Yeah. Eddie's mantidotes. Also, updates on P1 Weekend Worry Wart.
So we'll talk to people that had some crazy stuff going on over the weekend. What happened with the dude that was going to SeaWorld with his girlfriend and her ex and the kids? He was worried. He wanted to know how it was going to go. We'll revisit. What else we got today? We are going to be doing P1 trivia for the opportunity for somebody to come hang out in the studio today. That should be good. And I got crazy audio today, you guys. We got audio of a guy that's doing a strip club. And it's delicious. The YouTube clip of the day today, Eddie, it's for you. You will, especially you, you will enjoy this to the nth degree. And also, there was an actress on Broadway who flipped out. She flipped out during a performance. When you hear this audio, it's all coming up on the Mikey Show. Dave Chappelle on the stand-up spotlight. That's my problem. I can't handle pressure. Sometimes pressure makes me talk different.
I'm serious. You ever have, like, that social pressure? You ever talk to somebody who's fake and they make you fake? Like, that kind of thing, like, hey, how you doing? You're like, fine, how are you? It just makes me sick. Sometimes I talk crazy just to make myself feel better. You ever do that? Just start talking like crazy. You ever hear this voice? That's how bad guys used to talk in the 40s. In the old days. See, I used to talk like that. Not all the time, but if somebody put the pressure on me, I gotta cut loose. If the police pull me over, I talk crazy. Son, do you know why we pulled you over? Because I'm black, see? That's right. It's not illegal to talk like that. How do they know I don't talk like that every day? Stop talking like that. Stop talking like white copper. That's how I talk, see? You guys are just such a great sport for San Diego and everyone listening. San Diego is really, really lucky to have you guys on the radio every morning. Rock 105.3. She murdered Amal. Now she's after us.
It was so scary. Totally intense. Get ready for a ride. This Friday. Take somebody to hang on to because you're going to need it. The truth is more terrifying. It was twisted. I screamed the whole time. Than you can imagine. I never saw the ending coming. It kicked my ass. I just want people to know that I saved $1,600 a year by switching to AIS. to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Now we've got a tough ride going in already because of the rain. It's first in the North County, lots of rain heading up there, but there's several injury accidents already. We've got one northbound 15 just past the, before Felicita, rather, in the Escondido area. Left lanes were blocked. They just got that out of the way, but traffic is backed up on the approach. They had a car on its side here. And another accident, northbound 55 past Cannon Road in the Oceanside area. Looks like the roadway is down clear, but just keep an eye out for that. As you're heading south on the 15, you've got the usual backup off the 78 down the Via Rancho Parkway. In the South Bay, an earlier accident where a car went into the back underneath a big rig, westbound 54, before Rio Drive has right lanes blocked, and that Rio Drive exit is also shut down as well. And way out in the East County, you're going to have a couple of accidents over the Pine Valley Bridge because of black ice along that 8 westbound, so be careful out there as well. Not a big fan of combining foods. Like, you know, like... Binding? Yeah. Boston Rob. You know me, I love a good tattoo. And Ashley. I don't like to wait. Mikey's show, it is 643. A guy was arrested in Carlsbad over the weekend after leading police on a chase for a suspected DUI and then allegedly trying to drown a police dog. The Chiefs fired their head coach, Herm Edwards, on Friday. They're said to be interested in Mike Shanahan. Not sure if that's going to happen, though. Sounds like it'd be kind of a good choice, right? A great choice. Knows the AFC West, all that stuff. Do you think Herm will be out there long? Somebody snap him up as a coach? That's a good question. I'm not sure. He had a hard time in Kansas City. A lot of it wasn't his fault, though. A lot of injuries there.
They were trying to turn things around, but I would assume that Herm would get a job fairly quickly. It's raining outside. Be careful. I know people are driving. We get crazy. Rob has pointed this out, being from the East Coast. We do. Californians, we get a little crazy when it starts to rain. We flip out. By the way, we got a text on that. This says, A. Mikey, just wanted to let you guys know that it's snowing in Julian. Wow. And I'm on my way to class, so thanks for keeping me calm. That's P1 Fun Size. All right, show off. That's right. Mikey, thanks for letting the show wake me up this morning for my 7.30 class. You make my mornings better. That's P1 Ray Ray. So, Eddie, talk to me about the controversy with the WEC. uriah faber and i i kind of want to get an update on the whole thing like what how was the the tailgate deal did you do the tailgate deal yeah yeah it was cool you know i mean we got there about two o'clock hung out with some uh some p1s and you know before they opened the doors and you know fight started at four o'clock it was it was kind of a long show because it didn't end till nine so it was a it was kind of a long show but uh
The controversy was not in the Uriah Faber-Jen's Pulver fight. That was pretty straightforward. Uriah Faber came out there, dominated Jen's. Instantly. Knocked him down. Well, actually, knocked him down with a body shot, which you know had to hurt. Crazy. And then jumped on top of him and choked him out. What a bummer, because we had Jen's Pulver in the studio on Friday, and we really were pulling for him. All I could think about was the weight cut. You know, I mean, he he had he cut basically 10 pounds overnight. Oh, wow. And so, you know, I mean, you get hit in the body when your body's kind of weak like that. I'm sure that had to play a big part of it. So that was a really I mean, I don't know why that wasn't the main event, because people were going nuts. Like that crowd was out of control. And then the main event. Wait, wait, wait. Which wasn't the main event? The Pulver-Uriah Faber match. Yeah, I thought it was. I thought it was, too. I thought it was, too. That was the big one they were billing. But the main event was the lightweight champion, Jamie Varner. He's a champion, so they made that the main event. And probably got a quarter of the response that the Pulver fight got. For real? Yeah. Because, I mean, everybody wanted to see that fight. Sure.
Whatever. So in that fight, you know, went, you know, championship fights are five rounds. And it went the full five rounds. And late in the fifth round, his opponent threw a knee while the guy was on the ground. And that's illegal. Really? And it kind of, it knocked him out, basically. Right. And so they had to call the fight. And I thought it was going to, you know, the guy was going to be disqualified. But they go to the scorecards at that point. and Varner kept his title by split decision. No way. So it was kind of iffy. That's crazy. It was tough, too. When we were watching the replay, it seemed like the knee barely grazed his head. Do you think he really did get knocked out, or do you think he was kind of faking it? It was a split second. The guy jumped up and then went back down to his knees. In that meantime, he was throwing a knee and he caught him while the guy was on the ground. It's technically an illegal blow. I've never been kneed in the forehead before, so I can't really tell you if the guy was faking or not. It looked kind of glancing. I can see what you're talking about, but who knows? I can't imagine a guy going five rounds and pretending to...
To be hurt. You know, I mean, he was winning the fight. So I doubt he was. So is it illegal? Because, you know, I don't know much about all this MMA stuff, but I've seen them when they're on the ground and they're like punching the crap out of them or whatever. So is it illegal to throw a knee anywhere or only in the head? Only in the head. Yeah, you can knee your body, your shoulders, you know, your other legs or whatever. But if you knee in the head while a guy is on the ground, then it's illegal. That's a good rule. Yeah. Well, dude, back in the day, man, I remember back in the day when the UFC really didn't. have any rules. Tank Abbott was kneeing some guy in the face. I was like, that guy's going to die. They needed to put those rules in. Eddie, did you see The Wrestler? I did. You said you were going to go on Friday. I wanted to talk to you, but I wanted to wait and hear it on the air. How was it? I went on Friday night. It was really good. A couple things that made me go, hmm. Things that make you go, hmm. But I don't need that. Everyone was thinking it. Everyone was thinking it. We were all thinking. I wasn't. You weren't? No. You're the only one. But you don't think. What is this, 1992? I mean. Hey, never get sold. All right. That's right. So we've talked about this movie before. It's called Beyond the Mat. It's a documentary that follows a bunch of wrestlers, you know, and like their crazy lives. Great documentary. Great documentary. And watching this movie, The Wrestler, I was like.
Wow, they completely took the story of Jake the Snake Roberts from Beyond the Mat. Really? Jake the Snake was in the 80s heyday. He was huge, big-time WWF at the time, wrestler. And then through the years, he left the WWE and kind of became this broken-down guy and had a drug problem and started having to wrestle. These little tiny bingo halls and things like that just to make money. And he's got an estranged daughter that he tries to reconnect with in the film. Well, that's The Wrestler. That's the movie The Wrestler. Which is pretty crazy because, I mean, he has got this strange daughter. He's this broken down 80s wrestler that, you know, was big in the day that, you know, is wrestling in small, you know, tiny shows now. And it just follows him around. So it was kind of interesting. I was like, wow, they should give a story credit to Jake the Snake Roberts on that. He's got the same, yeah. Pretty much. And the story, I mean. It's a good story. Good story. Good acting by Mickey Rourke. I don't know.
Why Marissa Tomei got nominated for an Oscar because she is awesome. All she does is show her boobies. Give her an Oscar. I would give her an Oscar for that. The trailer looks amazing. Have a beer with me? Want a beer? Do you have a daughter? I'm a daughter. She don't like me very much. You should call her. What do you want? I'm an old, broken-down piece of meat, and I deserve to be all alone. I just don't want you to hate me. Two words, three, match. Bring it. Did you cry, Eddie? No. Maybe I can get you to. Yeah. I've seen that. If you've ever seen a guy without headphones, you ain't got anything to listen to. This isn't working. Yeah. You've got to listen to the words. I hear the words. You've got to hear the words. If you ever get the sniffles. Romantic. You've got to flip over so you can breathe. Stop that. It's emotional. It's really emotional. It's a good movie. I want to see it. Eddie. Yes. So check this out. So Mickey Rourke, you know.
He really, I guess, looks the part, right? Oh, dude. He is awesome. He looks exactly like one of those wrestlers from the 80s that still has the look. So, Sky, why don't you tell Eddie about Mickey? Well, Mickey Rourke says he's been in talks with Vince McMahon. Eddie's jaw just dropped open. Eddie's jaw just dropped open. And here's a quote from him. That's ridiculous. Here is a quote. Here is a quote. Stop your face. I would like to quote me more. Eddie, come on. He's an actor. No, he's not. He's a monster. I would like to quote. Go ahead. I think I'm going to do WrestleMania in Houston and Chris Jericho, you better get in shape because I'm coming after your ass. What? Eddie's jaw just went from being dropped to being extended. That is... Outrageous. They do that, though. WrestleMania, they always have some sort of celebrity match. They've had Floyd Mayweather last year. Back in the day, I remember when they had Refrigerator Perry and Morton Taylor. Those are athletes. Holy cow, that's crazy. Maybe he's going to try one more chance to get back in there.
One last match. You were never in there. Before my ticker gives out. It's a broken sky. Enough money to buy a guitar and a 12-pack. And enough money to get to you and visit my daughter. I just need to win this one last match. Pays 50 bucks if I win. 50 bucks. Get a new tire for my van. Stop driving on that donut. That is unbelievable. Oh, man. I'm in shock. 570-1053 is the phone number. And our text number is 35253. How about audio of Miss America? Oh.
Yes, that's right. How would you like to take a little break? And when we come back, now you remember what happened last year with the Miss America pageant. I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so. Why? Because some people out there in our nation don't have that. And I believe that our education, like such as South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere. I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help South Africa. It should help Iraq and Asian countries. So we will be able to build up our future. Wrap it up. That's not fair. That's rough. When we come back, we'll hear from this year's contestants. And we'll see what this year's contestants were all about. And you'll also get to hear Mario Lopez, who they've chosen to host this sucker. Mario says something kind of interesting when he's talking about the swimsuit competition, the swimsuit portion of the competition, so we'll hit on that. And don't go away. When we come back, we're going to do that for you, but we're also going to do our first ever Eddie's Mantidotes. Oh, wow. Eddie's Mantidotes. That's right. It's next. Yes, I'd like two dark roast coffees and four sugars. So that's the regular coffees and two sugars.
No, no, I said dark roast for sugars. Sure, please. Here you go, sir. This is orange juice. Yeah, orange juice. Extra sugar. Oh, that is so wrong. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love him. Sky. I don't know. Boston Rob. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. 1053.
Welcome back to Mikey Show. It is 7.03. For the second weekend in a row, Paul Blart Malkoff was the number one movie, making $21.5 million. Head coach of the Tennessee Titans, Jeff Fisher, tells quarterback Kerry Collins he will be the starter in 09. Welcome back. So before we went to break, I told you that the Miss America show was this weekend. I guess you call it a show. I mean, what do you, I don't know. Competition. Competition. Pageant. Pageant. And last year's, oh, wait a minute. This was not Miss America. This was Miss USA, right? No, I think it was Miss America. It was Miss America? My wife watched it. Because the Miss Americas, they're real smart. And it was Miss USA that was the chick from last year. Which one is UCSD and which one is SDSU? That's all I need to know. There's one that's UC San Marcos too. I'm forgetting about that one. Oh, no. Uh, yes. Oh, that's right. Wasn't it? I think it was Miss Teen USA was the South Carolina. Was that it? Yeah. Miss Teen USA? Yeah. So Miss America. Okay. Mario Lopez is explaining to people about the swimsuit competition. We begin with swimsuits.
This part of the competition showcases Miss America's commitment to health, fitness, and self-confidence. Okay, so let me get this straight. Their self-confidence is in the swimsuit. Yes. It showcases it. Did not know that? Check out these self-confidence. Yes. That sort of puts it in perspective. Good. So would you like to hear from some of these ladies? Sure. Absolutely. Dude, I thought Miss California was actually, she wasn't bad. I'm not being biased here. I actually thought she was pretty good with her answers. Here's your question, Ms. California. Recently, England's Prince Harry was criticized for comments some felt were racist. Should public figures like Prince Harry and Miss America censor their words, or should they be able to express their opinions more freely? We absolutely should be able to express our views and our opinions freely. However, we still need to make sure that we have the integrity to respect other people's opinions and values as well. So we are up here representing who we are as individuals, but the most important thing is to have respect when you do that. Yes, I agree. I think that's great. I love you. So good. That wasn't bad. That was really good. Miss Tennessee.
She had a problem with the word accomplishment. Yes. Y'all, she had a little bit of a problem with the word accomplishment, which happens. It's tough to say that with a piece of straw in your mouth. That is true. And one of those, you know those hats that have the Budweiser with the straws coming down? That was kind of a weird touch. It's kind of a strange deal. What are you going to do? But here is Miss Tennessee again struggling with the word accomplishment. America has just inaugurated its first African-American president. Has our country finally gotten beyond racism? I definitely think that we are reaching that point in America. The glass ceiling has been broken. Inaugurating Barack Obama as our first African-American president is a huge accomplishment for this country. And I think it shows how far we have come. And we have something to be so proud of as Americans. Come on. Come on.
It happens. You left out half the word. Yes. You don't need the whole thing. As long as we understand. You really don't. We can understand. You ready to do this? I'm not a baby. I'm a man. Come on. I'm a better man. I'm a man who discovered the wheel and built the Eiffel Tower out of metal. Eddie's Mantidotes. Eddie was just showing us his guns. I like it. You ready to do this, Eddie? We're going to do this real good. Let's do this. The idea behind Mantidotes is that you write in and you ask a question of our man's man, our guy's guy. Eddie will field these questions. This is free, by the way. Yes. Just so people know. It's a free public service? Yes. It doesn't charge? It doesn't charge. Because again, I saw Rob. Right now. But again, I saw Rob collecting money. Oh, that's not just donations. I mean, if you want to donate, you can. There you go. Rob will take them. Okay. Yes. All right.
First question. I'm ready. I have chest hair. Let's do this. I have to talk like that when you do it. Yes, I'm very manly. What does that mean? No, I'm strong. Okay. All right. All right, Eddie. I can lift my couch. You can? Yes. I mean, not the whole thing, but a side. All right. Well. Eddie, your first question for Manidotes. Yes. Eddie, I'm still nervous around my girlfriend, and we've been going out for a month. What's up with that, and what should I do? Oh, well, okay. Well, this one's easy, guys. Yeah? Fart in the shower. I know. I know. It seems kind of weird at first, but you got to do it. Now, what you want to do is invite her over one afternoon and make sure that when she arrives, you're in the shower. Okay. Now, you want to power down a spicy chicken sandwich, maybe some zesty nachos two hours beforehand. Okay. And then pull the plow. Okay. Now, listen. Now, I'm not going to lie. This will really scare her bad. Uh-huh. You too, probably. It's enclosed in there, but trust me, it really changes things.
Wow. How does that help at all? Yes, yes, it does. But I don't know how. You'll be scared at first, and then you change it all around. I don't mind it. You're strong. Eddie, I have a question. Yeah. Are you going to do that voice all the time? Yes, this is how I talk. I don't know. You don't. It's how men talk. That is not. Let's give you a man song here. Let's give you a man song. Thank you. Yeah. All right. I'm feeling good. Eddie. I wish I had some leather. No. We're men. We are. All right. Eddie. Your next question. There's a super hot girl at my gym. I want to talk to her, but I can't find the courage. What should I do, bro? That's P1 stacked. Oh, well, this is a no-brainer. You must fight Chuck Norris. Really? And make sure she sees it, okay? Okay. And you hopefully will win. Now, if that doesn't work, wait until you guys are next to each other while you're lifting weights. Yeah. And when she gets within ear sharp, start yelling.
452. 453. Oh, yes. I can feel my muscles expanding as we speak. Feel the burn? Yes. I like it. She will be Jell-O in your hands. Is that a thing? I've never heard that. Jell-O all over your hands. I know. And you rub the Jell-O on your face. Not a thing. I don't know about that. It feels good. Okay. The next one says, Oracle, my boys have been calling me a bandwagon fan because I recently bought a Kurt Warner jersey. I'm going to do that. Mike, you can just ask anyone. You don't have to read it. I'm going to do this. But I have been a fan of his since he was on the Rams. Well, not me. But how can I prove to my boys that I'm not jumping on the Kurt Warner bus? That's P1 pigskin. Very, very easy. This is easy. Do this. Next time they call you a bandwagon fan, say, sticks and stones may break your bones. So will this lead pipe. Wow. Keep talking, tough guys. Sounds like crime. Then legally change your name to Dr. Crush Bullet Stopper. Oh, yeah. All right. Dr. Crush Bullet Stopper. Yeah, Bullet Stopper. Sounds intimidating. I like it. They won't mess with you anymore after that. All right, Eddie. How about this one?
Eddie, my old lady is always on my case trying to get me to help out with the dishes. We originally had a deal that I would take out the trash and she would do the dishes, but now she wants me to help with her chore. How do I deal with this? That's P1 Hank. Listen up, Hank. That voice, Mike. Next time. I don't know. I don't know. Next time she asks, burp the lyrics to Black Sabbath's Iron Man, okay? Why? Why? Make sure you do it loud enough so she can enjoy your toxic musical mouth song. And she will be so impressed by you and your hidden talent. She will forget all about the dishes. Postscript. Women usually will want to put on aprons after you do this. I have never heard that. That's true. So be ready for that. Postscript. That's a postscript, by the way. That is postscript. I have never heard that. Eddie, finally. No, what? Eddie, I need some help. My boss is a total jerk. He rags on me all the time. He's never happy with my work. How can I get him to lay off? That's P1 Hammerfist. My friend, it is time for you to grow a set. First thing you need to do is shave off all your hair. Yes. Because that'll make you faster. Then you must do what an aboriginal tribal leader once told me on my walkabout. Okay. I'm sure. He said,
You must follow the yellow coyote until he sits upon the rock of life. Really? Then speak in the tongue of the lizard and you will find your answers. Uh-huh. Now, I had no idea what that meant, so I slapped him. Okay, you don't know. No. You get it? No, I don't think I like it. Ladies and gentlemen. Yes. Yeah, you know what that's about, Sky? That's turning the men into the boys. Oh, yeah. Voice to men. Voice to men. Yeah, forget it. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. You know what he's saying. I drink lighter fluid and fart fire. Thank you. Three. If you want the potential to make over $75,000 within the next three years, listen up. Because the Border Patrol is actively hiring new agents. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We've got a tough ride in our hands in some parts of the county, and some rain hit in some areas as well, so be careful. Give yourself some extra time. You're more than likely going to need it. Right now, there's 805 Northbound. It's in trouble. You've got a bad accident here near 47th Street, backing up your ride here in the South Bay. And then once you get around North Park area, from there, it's a crawl all the way up into Kearney Mesa. There's an accident on the North 805 transition. We have to westbound Balboa. And that's really causing a major mess in that area, so be careful. You've also got pretty heavy traffic on the northbound 15 as well as you come off just down City Heights from around the 8th freeway through Murphy Canyon up the Arrow Drive. South 15, bumper-to-bumper out of Escondido up to 78 down to Villarancho Parkway. And now you've got a heavy ride again from Carmel Mountain Road heading into Poway. Your coaster ride, South Ponce out of the 5, has also got some stacked up stuff out of Lucadia down into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rocco 053. It's funny to me that I laugh. It's so sexy. San Diego's Rock. Featuring Mikey. I have to check my email constantly. Eddie. I am maybe the world's worst handyman. Scott. If an SUV is cheaper, I'm still going to go for a hybrid because my motivation is... The Republicans, I love the Democrats. You're obviously sexist and a horrible... And Ashley. I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. He shows on Rock 105.3. It's 718.
The White House announced over the weekend that it'll take some time for the economy to recover, even with the new economic stimulus plan. Ravens Pro Personnel Director George Kokinis has been hired as Cleveland's general manager. That's a tough name to deal with. Kokinis. Kokinis. I had some of that at Olive Garden on Friday. It was delicious. It sure was. And all-you-can-eat salad and breadsticks. With Kokinis? Yeah, with Kokinis. Let's see. That's a reason, by the way, that Rob can't go back to Canada as he was selling coquinas. I knew it. That is not true. Eddie, this one is for you. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. You're going to enjoy this. Now, as we listen to it, we're going to also be asking ourselves, is this 100% real or is there anything added to it? You know what I mean? But what you're about to hear. is somebody that recorded their squeaky nightstand, okay? They were listening to their nightstand, and they obviously thought that there was something to the noise that was compelling, interesting, or whatnot. Maybe you will, too. It kind of sounds like something. Again, this is a squeaky nightstand. Or is it doctored? Let's take a listen. I believe it. You believe it. Sky believes it.
If it is for real and he didn't add that in, that's phenomenal. I mean, it probably is for real. He probably did it when I was like, whoa. Like, whoa. That's chewy. It's a chewy nightstand. Now, if you like that, you're going to love this. Some people make different noises when they get tasered. Oh, no. They do. People are different. Taser, taser, taser. Shut up. That is awesome. How do you like that? How do you like that? That is crazy. Face it, face it, face it. That is crazy. Dude. Yes.
If that were my friend, I would tase him all the time. You're like, dude, come here. Just do this for my friends. Please, let me tase you, bro. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253 if you want to give us a call. This is a very interesting story. There was a dude that apparently went to a strip club and something happened to him. at the strip club that has forced him to want to sue the script club. You know what I'm saying? I like the script club. The script club. So I think you'll enjoy this. 37-year-old Yusef Evans at the XTC Strip Club in Akron. The XTC. Get it? It's like a clever play on. Where a sign warns on the way in, no weapons allowed. But no disclaimer of just how dangerous a dancer's shoe could be. Yeah. Black boot was heel about that thick, about that wide. It's Pac-Man Jones. Yusuf never saw it coming, but that boot came flying at his face when a stripper named Tiara took a twirl. I seen her run. When a stripper named Tiara took a twirl. Why in news is it necessary? Why the clever, you know, like can't you just say it? It's got to be like made into a clever play on words.
And she grabbed the pole and flung her whole bottom half of her body around the pole and her boot flew off. And it just hit me on the nose. It hurt bad. I could just drop my head, hold my nose and holler. Doctor said it. Is he kidding around with that? I mean, is that for real? That's all he could do is hold his nose and holler. Yeah, that's right. It's very dangerous. Wow. Very dangerous. I can only breathe out of one nostril. Now, two years later, Yusuf says he needs surgery. Two years later. It's quite an injury, you guys. Is the boot still in his nose? It could be. You don't know. Now, wait a minute. Haven't I said before, if it's funny, it shouldn't be a crime. You know what I mean? I agree with that. I agree with that. You know, if something happens where you slip on a banana peel, you know, somebody, I mean, please. If it's funny. And he and his attorney want XTC to pay $25,000 for pain, suffering, and inconvenience. Thank you. Is the car really responsible for her boots that she's wearing? Yeah, because you work for them. I would think so.
If you get in an accident right down the street and hit somebody's car and tear it up, they're going to want to get paid for it. This is my body. That's all. The manager here at XTC not interested in doing an interview today. Really? Why would he not? Shocking. Why is the manager at XTC not interested in doing an interview? I don't get it. Yeah, man, I want to sue the club, too. Thank you. I was in the champagne room. And I got one of them like stirry straws stuck in my eye. And so they should be responsible for that. Excuse me, sir. You're saying that this happened in the champagne room? The champagne room. I was in there. Be more careful with the straws. Yes, that's true. Excuse me, sir. I have another question. I have another question. Why were you drinking champagne with a straw? Now you're judging people, Mike. Way to go. How do you drink it? Mr. Monopoly? Yeah. Oh, you're so high class. Apparently, I've landed on Broadway. You know what I mean? You did tell me, however, they're not even aware of anyone named Tiara who works here. I mean, after all... Maybe she was freelancing, you know? She must have walked in there two years ago. Well, she changed her name to Portia. Yes, she did. It was two years ago, right? Actually, Yusuf himself isn't quite clear on that.
Uh, 07 or 08. I lost track. According to court documents, Yusuf Evans has been suffering for two years since January 2007. And by the way, he says he hasn't been back to a strip club since. Well, yeah, because, you know, it's dangerous. Clearly traumatized him. And he's dealing with a lot of pain and suffering. Now, ladies will know this. See, either this guy is lying or this chick, to have a boot fly off. Maybe she had petite feet. Yeah. She would have to be wearing a boot that was 10 sizes too big for it to fly off when she was doing a twirl. Maybe she hadn't had time to tie them. Yeah. To tie them. Well, you know how some of them are like tied up in the back. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like a real sexy. Okay. Or like Eddie said, maybe it's a case of petite feet. I think that's what it is. Really? It could be a case of petite feet. Yeah. For sure. You never know what happens if you're dealing with petite feet. Okay. It's dangerous. Just ask me and Robin. That's nice, isn't it? So anyway, we'll keep following that lawsuit very closely. I'll keep you abreast. You get it? Not bad. Thank you. Don't stare at me like that. I'm working to be a TV news reporter. These are the things you've got to work in. You're almost there. Thank you.
Eddie Sky went to Valley View Casino Saturday night. Oh, dude, talk about it. She had dinner at their new steakhouse. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are we talking black and blue? Oh, dude, dude. Is that what we're talking? Oh, please. Yes. Is that what we're talking? Of course, that's what I'm talking there. All right. Okay. She even ate some lobster. Yeah. Wow. Everyone calm down. That's right. Who do you think you are? Calm down, everyone. What? Who do you think you are? Sky doesn't usually eat stuff out of the ocean. Yeah. So when we played in the celebrity poker tournament out at Valley View for their new, you know, poker room, they gave us gift certificates to Black and Blue as like a little thank you. Yeah, of course. And so I wanted to take my parents there because my parents had always wanted to go to their new steakhouse because they go to Valley View all the time. And so we go and it was so super nice. And the husband really wanted Surf and Turf. So he was going to order the Surf and Turf. Are you talking about the Boo Man group? Yes. Is this the Boo Mad Girl? Holy cow. You are so dumb. It's just the Boo, okay? It's not the Boo Mad Girl. Oh, my gosh. Just a bunch of guys with crazy hair. All right. You are so dumb. That is fantastic. You are so dumb. Who can fix anything? Oh, wow. So the Boo wanted the surf and turf, but then when she came over to do the specials, there was this, like, bone-in ribeye special, and so then he wanted that.
Right. So he made me order the surf and turf so he could have it. That is awesome. You know how he rolls, bro. That guy wants what he wants, man. Awesome. That's the best. Oh, yeah. And so I'm preparing to give him the lobster off my plate, and he's like, you really need to eat some of this. This is probably going to be some of the best lobster you've ever had. Yeah. Oh. And I tried some, and I enjoyed it, and it wasn't fishy at all. You like stuff. You just got to try it. I've had bad lobster before. I've tried lobster before. Don't give me that look. Eddie. Well, haven't we all? Hey, throw up. Throw up. What do you do? What is going on here? You're going to throw Babe Ruth an underhand pitch and then just go, okay, no, I'm not going to swing at that. Come on. Good job. That guy had to take his shot. So it was nice. It was real fresh, real sweet. Yeah, real sweet. Yeah, real fresh. One of my new favorite dishes is there at Black and Blue. They had, for an appetizer, they had prime steak lettuce wraps. Oh, wow. So super spicy, Mike. You would love it. Like, super spicy. Yeah, so I highly recommend it, Black and Blue. I heard that plays good.
Yeah, it was really cool. That's where Sky won her poker tournament, by the way. Yeah, that's true. The celebrity poker tournament. P1 Adam, are you there? Yeah. You are the director of the restaurant. Oh, hey, Adam. Oh, that's our boy. What's up, guys? What's up, Adam? How you doing? Good. Yeah, we had your reservation all set up, so you had a good time, Sky? Oh, dude, it was so cool. I was bummed Adam wasn't there, because Adam, we met him when we were there for the poker tournament, and he's in charge of all the restaurants there, and he's a huge P1. Rad. You know, and sometimes people just say, like, oh, I love your show, oh, real great. But no, like, he was dropping references on us. Sweet. Yeah, so, oh, dude, it was like... Above and beyond. It was so awesome. Thank you so much. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the lobster. It wasn't fishy. I ate ham flavored. I enjoyed it. They did have these little peas with ham. Did you go for it? Of course. Of course I did. Is that in honor of... Be honest, Adam. Was that in honor of... You're a fan of the show. You wanted to figure out a way to incorporate ham into a thing.
Yes, I did plan this two years ago. It was a quick fire. It was a quick fire. We would be ready for her. But, no, it was, you know, we had a great time at the poker tournament, and she did so awesome. I did. She won the whole thing. Well, I did. I'm not going to brag, but I really did awesome. You are bragging. Yes. I was the best. Okay. I won't brag, but here goes. You sat across with the guy in the ski mask, even. You couldn't even see what was going on. Yeah, one of the clowns from, I think it was from Fox. The ski man group? Yeah, he wore a ski mask when we played in the poker tournament. Really? Yeah. Hey, Adam, thank you for calling, dude. We appreciate the phone call, brother. Hey, anytime. Love you guys. Love the show. Have a great day. Thanks. Love you. Love you. This is P1 B-Rock. B-Rock, you there? Yeah. Go ahead, man. You're on the air. So I have a great strip club mishap story for you that happened to my buddy over in Phoenix. At the strip club. I love the strip club. Yes, he's sitting right at the edge of the stage. And the stripper motions for him to get closer and closer as she is on her hands and knees backing closer and closer to him. So his face is right near her. Got it. Got it. Give a little booty bounce and hits him directly in the nose of her tailbone and breaks his nose. Oh, my God.
Wow. Yes. Oh, dude. Like, she runs to the back, and he understands that she probably didn't do it on purpose, whatever, but the manager comes over. He, my buddy, explains what happens, and the manager says, I can't believe she did that again. Oh, no. Oh, my God. That is hysterical. That is crazy. Her nickname is Duff Trump. Yes. What would you expect, please? Yeah, you usually have to pay extra for the butt face. Oh, my heart is pounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King-infused face paint. In the beginning, the automobile was invented as a luxury item for the very wealthy. Johnny Rockefeller and Jenny Moneybags tooled around like royalty on their very own self-propelled motor car.

Two guys are recovering today after their small plane went down and busted a sewage pipe on Saturday near the Oceanside swap meet. Milwaukee Bucks star Michael Redd is going to miss the entire season with torn knee ligaments. Welcome back. I got more tomatoes for you guys. The weird hot weather is, you know how we had that spell of weird hot weather? Yeah. And then some of the tomatoes blew up again. Good. I love them. Love them. I hate making the caprese with the better tomato. You get the fresh mozzarella. The fresh tomato. The bruschetta. The bruschetta. The bruschetta. The bruschetta. Hello, this is Skye for Skye's bruschetta. Okay. Calm down. I love the fresh mozzarella. Yes. That's how it's pronounced. With the macaroni. And the cheese. Cheese.
Sorry. Sorry I pronounced it correctly. This word... No, I can't even pronounce things correctly. How do you say... How do you say this? Macarone. But you say cheese because this word is normal. Macarone is... All right. Okay. It's true Italian. Oh, my God. What the heck was going on in there? That's my deaf Italian cousin. That's my deaf Italian cousin. She sometimes, you know, every once in a while. Cousin Tortellini over there. That's right. Thank you. All right. You want to do the Weekend Worry Ward update? Let's do some updates here. Let's see what's going on with these guys. First off. Let's talk to Marcus. Let's hear what Marcus had to say. I'm a minor league baseball player, and I was drinking with my buddies the other day, just messing around, and I jumped off of the back of the couch, and I busted up my knee. Like, I need surgery. I'm done for this season, most likely. There you go. And I have to tell my dad this weekend. So this dude, and he did it, you know, in a stupid way. Drunk. Drunk.
Marcus, you there? Marcus. Hey, guys. Hey, dude. So did you tell him? I did. And? It wasn't good. Because this was his dad's dream for him to be a professional ball player. It was their dream. So how did you say it and what did he say? You know, I went over there just a normal day over there, but obviously I'm on crutches, so it's not like it's something I could keep from him. So I came over there. He kind of gave me a look. I was like, listen, Dad, sit down. This is what happened. I'm really sorry. And he just gave me this blank look. Oh, that's the worst. It's not like 20 minutes. I'm sure it wasn't, but we sat there and stared at each other. Oh, dude. That's brutal. All he said was, son, I'm disappointed in you. Oh, no. Of all the worst. I would rather him yell. Oh, yeah. Rather him slap me in the face. Yes, I deserve it. For sure. Oh, my gosh. For sure. Oh, bro. Honestly, guys, like, I think the last time that I heard him say that was when I failed a math test when I was probably, like, 10 years old. Oh, that is the worst. Yeah. I thought that he'd be angry. I could deal with it. I was ready for the anger. Right. I was ready for, you know, to tell him, Dad, I'm going to.
Bust my butt. I'm going to get back out there. I'm going to be back next year. I'm still young. I was ready for all that. When he said he was disappointed, I just, I couldn't even respond. Yeah. Oh, man. That's pretty brutal. That sucks. Pretty brutal. Yeah. Well, dude, I hope it works out for you. It sounds like you're going to. I hope your dad talks to you again. Yeah. Yeah. Heal up quick. Yeah. Rub some dirt on it. The proof is going to be in the pudding. I'm going to go out there, and I'm going to come back. You guys will see me on the baseball field, and I'm going to make him proud, too. Well, you better. You better. Or your dad is not going to be stoked with you. Guys, maybe he can become a professional couch jumper. Dude, I didn't even think of that. I like it. Have you considered professional couch jumper? It's a thing. Yeah, because remember, Evel Knievel was the first guy to jump over the couch. You can do it. Yeah, you can do it. Well, if you get famous, don't forget us. Thank you. We helped save your career, bro. That's right. We did it. All right. Thank you. Save your life. That's Marcus. Let's see. This was P1 Elizabeth. My 18-year-old sister is dating a 30-year-old man and taking him home to meet my family and hasn't told them how old he is.
And she thinks that they're not going to notice. They're not going to notice. Let's see, Elizabeth, are you there? Yes, I am. And did you talk to, did she talk to them? Oh, yeah, she talked to them. She took him to a family gathering of, like, 30 people. Yep. And my dad said, like, he shook his hand and was like, so, Felicia, let me talk to you for a second. And I pulled her aside and was like, how old is this guy and what is he doing here? Eventually, my dad thought he was nice. My grandparents, on the other hand, my grandma cried. Oh, no. So did he really look a lot older than her? Well, yes, and our whole family is Latino, and he's not. He's white. You can say it. He's white. No, he's not. He's African-American. He's African-American. I think it's fantastic. Thank you, Barack. Thank you. What the heck? Wow. She tried to get my grandfather to shake his hand, and he said, I don't want lying in my house. No. Are you serious? I swear to God. No way. You mean racial slur? Totally. Dude. That is crazy. Dude. Old school.
He's like 83 years old. Wow. Like, it's totally inappropriate, but he's not going to change. He should have expected that because it's happened before. Wow. That is brutal. That's nuts. Well, that sounds really comfortable. Yeah. Don't talk to me, but, you know, whatever. Yeah. Well, let us know how this goes. So after he dropped the N-bomb on him, did the guy leave? No, because it was a house with like 45 people in it, so there was like enough people to like mingle. I mean, everybody kind of knows that my grandparents are like old and like never going to change and slightly inappropriate. Slightly? Yeah, that's very inappropriate, I would say. And by the way, Mikey, I saved $1,200 a year on AIS. You're good. Holy cow. When did you call him? Last week. That's rad. See, I told you, it's for real. $1,200 a year. Dang. That's a real call from a real person. If you want to do it, 1-800-777-4-AIS. That's awesome. Thank you. Bye, guys. Bonus. Thanks. Let's see. P1 Alcatraz. Remember this guy? Here we go. With my girlfriend and her two kids. That's frightening, dude. Don't do it. Eddie's afraid of the black and white. Very scary. Doesn't like killer whales. Well, her ex-husband is coming along as well. So we're talking about.
A guy going with his girlfriend and the ex and the kids to SeaWorld. One big happy family. That's right. Alcatraz, you there? I'm here. How did this go? I lucked out and we ended up with a Chuck E. Cheese instead because of the weather. Because why? We went to Chuck E. Cheese instead because of the weather. My girlfriend was afraid it was going to rain. Okay. So I skated out in the SeaWorld experience. Yeah. Chuck E. Cheese was a bit easier because you kind of let the kids go. It was easier to step back and not have to be involved. And you got the band. Yeah, you got the band. They rock. Did you talk to the guy? Yeah, we were kind of cool. They were both sitting in the ball pit. They started talking in the ball pit. I forgot to talk to my girl. I didn't talk to my girlfriend about it. I was just going to suck it up and go. I'm not going to worry her with how I feel. I forgot to tell her about it until this morning on her way to work. She hears you on the radio mentioning the guy who was going to the sea road with his girlfriend. Oh, wow. Oopsie. She looks over at me like, this is not a coincidence. And you look confused and you go, another guy? That's crazy, honey. Maybe he's talking about another guy who went to the sea road with his girlfriend. Couldn't be us. We went to Chuck E. Cheese. Yeah, exactly. So it can't be us.
We ended up talking about it this morning, and it went okay. It went pretty well. You know, I think it's good to let her know how you feel. I think it's good. If you're hurt, you know what I mean? If you're hurt. The thing is, regardless, I was going to go and we were going to go. So I kind of thought it was no point of me worrying her how I feel that whole day. You know, and kind of put her at, you know. I ended up in an awkward position, so that's why I didn't even bring it up. So was it awkward with the guy, or was it okay? It was okay. I mean, the kids really can't get in trouble with Chuck E. Cheese. I didn't have to say anything. I just let the kids do their thing. I let the dad do their thing. I ate a lot of pizza, and that was cool. Dude, the pizza, they're so bomb, right? I've never been to Chuck E. Cheese in my life. Wow. Never. Mike used to work that. In fact, all I know. Let's go, Mike. All I know is that there's always a joke made about the band. Oh, yeah. Always. They're so good. They're so good. Take Jake. Take Jake. Take Jake. Take Jake. Take me. Take me. Why am I chanting it? Why are you chanting it? I don't know. Bring me. I want pizza. Alcatraz, thank you for the call. All right, guys. You got some good day, man. Thank you, dude.
Is a pizza any good? Are you being... Pizza is horrendous. That's what I've heard. It's horrendous. I used to work there. It's awful, right? The band is the best. The band is the best. It's delicious. Is there things for adults to do there? Is this just... No. There is beer and wine. Really? Party on. There you go. Party at Chuck E. Cheese. We have some rosé and chablis. Oh, look at that. Awesome. Encourage drinking of the parents when they're with their kids. That's right. And then drive home. And then drive home. That's right. Good time. I have the craziest story of working there. You do? This little girl, every time she would come and visit, they were like a regular family. Was she a regular? Yeah. Anytime she would see Chuck E. Cheese, she would immediately vomit. Are you no joke? Are you serious? Because he's like all dressed up, you know, kind of like how Mickey Mouse, if you go to Disneyland, he's all Chuck E. Cheese like walks around in that joint. Yeah? So scared she vomited every time. Yes. And yet still came back. Yeah, why would you come back? Because it's so fun. Pizza is so good. It's so good and it's so fun. You can't help it. That is crazy. Do you laugh every time? No, because we were like the peons that had to clean it up. Don't take care of it. By the way, the voice that you're hearing is P1 Quimby, who works at the radio station now and is screening our phone calls for us this week. Nobody's getting through today. That's right.
If you want to try to get through Quimby, 570-1053. Eddie, this is just one of the things that you'll get used to. The stories of the kids and the vomiting and the Chuck E. Cheese and the whatnot. Yeah, I don't deal with that stuff. Any new stuff? Don't you lie. That's what my wife swore. Oh, you're so lying right now. You are a liar. Why am I lying about it? Oh, I'm going to act all tough, but really I'm going to love my kid and I'm going to be there for everything he does. That's right. Eddie. Vomit? Yes. How is that me being tough? Well, you're saying that you're not going to be there. You're not going to, like, help. I don't claim a vomit. You will. Oh, you will. Oh, you will. Sometimes vomit duty happens at, you know, in opportune times. You will. You're going to be a good dad. I can't handle it. I'll throw up on the kid. Oh, you will. I will. I don't have a vomit. When are you registering? I did yesterday. Get out of here. Oh, wow. Sea turtles? What are you doing? Stop saying that. Oh, they're so cute. They're so cute. Sky's China. Because they're not going to find out what they have until they have it. So Sky is pressing on these neutral gender ideas. Snoopy is the theme. Yes. Snoopy is the theme. Snoopy. Snoopy. Snoopy. That's my favorite. Talk to me. Snoopy. Love it. I'm buying all Woodstock stuff. No, it's not Woodstock. That's his boy. I don't care. It's Snoopy. Snoopy. Snoopy. There's a place for Woodstock. So talk to me about this. You went yesterday. Yeah, we went to Babies R Us. Right.
I was pretty excited. I was, you know, really looking forward to going in there and doing stuff. Snoopy. Snoopy. We signed the paperwork and stuff like that. They handed us the gun. Now, for those of you that don't know, what is he talking about, the gun? The gun is a code reader. It reads the little UPC codes on the back. The little, what are those called? Barcode? Barcodes. It reads the barcode. So you go through and pick. Whatever you want. You zap it and it goes on your registry. Yeah. So, you know, they suggest we start at one end of the store and go all the way around. Yeah. And at the beginning of the store is newborns. Yeah. So we go to the newborn section and I'm all jazzed up, ready to go. Sure. And I look up and I don't recognize anything. What do you mean? Dude, there's stuff that I've never even heard of. Like what? Like there's this sleep positioning thing. Sleep position. Yeah, it's like a pillow thing. You put the baby in and it stays in this...
position. Oh, yeah. It's like for toast. What do babies have to stay in the same position or something? Like, I don't know. Like the baby bop or something. Yeah, yeah. No, no. That's a different thing. That's different. Which I've never heard of before in my life. The baby bop? The baby bopper. Is that the big pillow that they lay on? Yeah, they lay on it and like you breastfeed with them on that thing and stuff like that. When we had, when we had, oh, wait, wait, wait. This is the one that's shaped like a U. The boppy. Is that the one that's shaped like a U? Yeah. And it wraps around your body. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then you put the kit on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The body. Never heard of that thing. Don't know. Do we need it? I don't know. Yeah, yeah. It's good. There's all kinds of different bottles, like different nipples and breast pads and all kinds of milky things. I don't know any of this. Is it the milky section? The milky section scared the hell out of me. I'm lactose intolerant. I don't know. The whole section made you get gas. Freaking out. I don't know. I didn't know any. It made me freak out. I got overwhelmed and I wanted to leave. I didn't get any of it. Did your wife?
For the most part, yeah. But then, you know, she would go, well, what kind of blah, blah, blah do you want? And I'm like, I don't even know what that is. She wants you to have input. Yeah, and I don't know. I don't even know what it is. You know, and I thought I was ready, man. I was, you know, I'm ready to go. Yeah. But, dude, I'm not even, I need to start reading. It's freaky, right? Oh, I crap myself. I'm like, good thing there's diapers here because I don't know any of this. It was, I freaked out, dude. I really freaked out. Did you guys get a monitor yet? Did you put a monitor down for your deal? We only did a certain amount and we had to go because we had the WEC thing. So we got a good amount done, but not nearly, you know, they give you like a checklist. And so we probably got a quarter of it done. So we haven't gotten to like the real big ticket items yet. You've worked through the Milky section. That's good. I guess. That was a fun place to start. Oh, I hated it. I hated it. I'm so scared. It's pretty hard. It can be very confusing getting into that stuff. You know what I mean? I didn't know half of that stuff. I really didn't. And I really thought, like, dude, they have, like, things you put in your dishwasher to put bottles in and, like, towel racks and all kinds. Like, I've never even seen this. Like, where does this stuff go? Like, how did people do it before, you know, dishwasher bottle racks? I know. It's for real. Like, huh? Dude, all I know. Just throw it in there. Yeah. I'm just washing my hand. Yeah.
Exactly. My wife with Jake, she had such strong feelings and reminded me of you, Sky. She reminded me of you. Such strong feelings about bottles. And are they made without this? There's all organic stuff. Like we registered for like, you know, the mattress for the crib is organic. Like a bunch of different stuff is organic that we registered for. And I'm like, whatever. A P1 St. Louis says he knows what you're going through. Dude. St. Louis. Hey, what's going on, guys? What's up, brother? Hey, if I can give a piece of advice to Eddie, first off, a crib's not going to work. Your wife is really going to want the baby with her. Nine times out of ten, more likely that's going to be it. A little bassinet. Well, we need both. I mean, we're going to have the crib for the nursery, but we're also getting a bassinet. I'll bet you your next paycheck you're not even going to use the crib. Well, at a certain point. At some point, yeah. I mean, at a certain point. Yeah, you can't let the kid sleep with you forever. I don't know. He's like, I don't know. My son's 25. But seriously, diapers. I'm sure Mikey can vouch for this. They smell. They do. After they've been used, they're nasty. No way. Get out. No, you want lots and lots of diapers. If you try to get the disposable diapers, you try to clean them, that is just ridiculous.
Or the non-disposable diapers, I'm sorry. You buy the disposable diapers, get, I mean, just buy a stock market full of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A stock market. Yes, yes, yes. That is a lot. Well, it turns out you go through them. That's the deal. You end up going through a lot of those suckers. I heard they go a lot. What was it, like 1,200 within six? Six weeks, yeah. 1,200 within six weeks. You're making up stats. No, I am. No, I'm serious. Hey, dude, I appreciate the phone call. Thank you, man. Hey, guys, rock. Thank you. That's St. Louis. I don't know if that's mine or yours, Sky, but one of ours is chiming. Oh, look at mine. I'll see. Mute it. Eddie, did you guys see the diaper genie? I know of the diaper genie, but we did not get to that part yet. Diaper genie? You stick the diaper in there, and then you twist this knob, and it... Like practically hermetically seals it off. I love that. So you don't smell diapers. Yeah. We got to get one of those. Now, I don't know about other parents. But what ends up happening a lot of times with that is that your mom and dad are very tired. Very, very tired. So you put said diaper in there. And you don't worry about the cranking of the thing. You do for the first six months. You're pretty diligent with the cranking of the thing. But a couple of times.
You'll forget to do the cranking of the thing, which kind of ruins the whole process. And the next time you open that diaper, Jeannie. It's like Woodstock. Good night now. It's like Woodstock, Eddie. It's like Woodstock. That's crazy. We got to take a quick time out. But when we come back, don't go away. When we come back, I'm going to tell you about Albertsons recalling something to do for your pets. What is it? Yeah, that's right. It's kind of mixed up out there, but again, just give yourself some extra time. Most of our freeways are still pretty messed up. The 805 northbound, that is just a crawl solid here from the Chula Vista area pretty much all the way into North Park, over the 52 into the Golden Triangle.
Your West 8 ride as well, seeing some heavy traffic in the Cajon Valley towards East Main Street. And then it's going to grab you pretty heavy here from right around Spring Street or the 125. And that stays low through La Mesa all the way into Mission Valley. Continuing in past the queue, heavy traffic again from the 163 getting to the 5 freeway through Hotel Circle. South 15 has become quite a mess. Just messed up from the 78 solid all the way down past Mercy Road in Poway. And the coaster ride, South 5 stays toughest from La Costa into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence and Rocco to 5-3. At least he was my attorney before they found out that he didn't have his lawyer degree. Oh, no. That's bad. He didn't even go to college either. I just like to argue, man. Well, you know, I know one of those. How come you winked at Scott? She's my attorney.
Three people in the Bahamas have been arrested in the alleged extortion plot against John Travolta. In a battle of the West's best, the Lakers were able to beat the Suns 99-85 last night. Yeah, you can call us about whatever you want. You went to the WEC fights and you saw... That's right, Ashley did go and Eddie went. Were there a lot of people there? Was it huge? I hope they come back. Awesome. They packed that place? Yeah. It's a sports tournament, dude. I mean, that's pretty huge for them. And it tells you that it goes good in San Diego. Oh, it's gigantic. We love it. People love MMA here. It was a good crowd, too. They were into it. You can call about anything. You can call about anything you want. The reason, because it's Monday, and you know how every once in a while when you're in school, and you're in homeroom, and they would just, like, have a fun? Yeah, like, you know, we're going to watch a movie today. Oh, dude. How much did you love that? That was the best. Yeah. Yeah. I loved it. Yeah. You know?
It was the first time I saw Kramer vs. Kramer. Oh, how dare you? I thought it was really a nice and honorable thing. It was an honorable thing for him to do. The subject was French toast. That's enough. Yeah, Ashley says that the Loco picked her up. I was wondering about that. Now we're just calling him the Loco? And off they went to the WEC fight together. At Sports Arena. You know, it was really cool because, you know, Friday before I left, Ashley was like, oh, yeah, you know, I'll come early. We'll hang out. We're going to have a great time. She's laughing already. And I was like, oh, that sounds fun, man. You know, that would be really cool. I didn't even see her one time. She does that. Not once. I did not see her once. Hey, man. Hey, good to see you, Psych. Hey, man. Yeah. We were texting, though. It's the same, right, Eddie? That was awesome. Yeah, when that loco's around, she, you know. Forget it. She gets a little crazy. Yeah. That's right. She gets a little crazy. Which is ironic. How crazy is that? That is weird. Let's see. 570-1053 is the number. Oh, I told you before we went to break. You can call about anything you want. I told you before we went to break that there was a recall at Albertsons. Yeah, what's up, Mike? What was it, Sky?
Well, they have recalled dog biscuits. What kind? This all goes back to this whole salmonella peanut butter thing. It's now affecting the pet world. Do they make peanut butter dog biscuits? I don't know, Mike. I guess there is peanut butter in some of these dog biscuits. Are you serious? Yeah. I don't give those to Sammy. Dude. I hope Blunder doesn't have a pet bear because they love peanut butter. They love peanut butter. I wonder what he's feeding his beard. Straight gravy. That's right. Straight gravy. Right off the vine. So they've recalled the Happy Tails multi-flavored dog biscuits. Yeah. To see if your dog may have salmonella poisoning. If he's been eating some of this, your dog may be lethargic, have diarrhea, a fever, and vomiting. Sammy. Why not? Thank you. She's doing a lot better. She's doing a lot better. A lot of ailments, Eddie. Aw. Sammy has a lot of ailments. Disgusting. We're fixing her ass. So if you have the Happy Tails dog biscuits, you can bring them back to Albertsons and they'll give you a refund. The dog doesn't want that anyway. All he wants is sausages. That's right. Sausages. I thought it was sausages. Sausages. Sausages. Sausages. Sausages. Hey, P1 Alex, you there? Yeah, hey. What are you calling about? Everybody, um...
I'm a bit embarrassed about this phone call. I hope you guys can help me out a little bit. I was seeing this girl Janice for about five years, two years in college and three years when we got out. We broke up about two years ago, and I just found out that she's going to get married this summer. And it kind of bothers me, and I'm a little bit embarrassed and kind of ashamed to admit it, but I've really been thinking about it for the last couple of weeks. And I'm wondering if you guys have any advice of whether you guys have ever felt that way or whether, you know, it could kind of help me figure out what I'm kind of supposed to do about this. How long has it been? Two years. Okay, two years since you broke up. Right. How long did you date? About five years. Oh. Wow. So you dated five years and two years had gone by. And have you had any serious relationships since then? Well. Not as serious. I mean, I'm kind of seeing this go right now. I mean, it's at the point where it's so serious any day now. But, I mean, after I got kind of hit with this, I found out from a friend of mine right after New Year's. And it's just been kind of bothering me. I'm not really sure what I should be doing. I'm kind of ashamed that I'm even feeling this way. Who broke up with who? You break up with her or she break up with you? She kind of broke up with me.
I could see it going. I mean, the last six months were hell. We were constantly fighting. I mean, when she finally said it was over, I was kind of like, okay, you know, we can go our own separate ways. And it didn't end very well, but, you know, it's... Question. Another question, Alex. How did you find out? A mutual friend of ours said, hey, did you know that... Candy's getting married. Candy? Candy. I'm just going with the name Candy. I'm going to go with the name Candy. That's a sexy name, Mike. Ramona. Did you hear about Ramona? No. What about Encinitas? Encinitas. Okay. Let me process. Mutual friend says, did you hear that Candy's getting married? And you say no. It still bothers you. It's been two years. You were dating five years. Well, you've heard me say a million times people are entitled to their feelings and you can feel however you want. However, sometimes when you feel certain stuff, it's a it's an indication that maybe you need to work some stuff out. You know what I mean? Like, hey, man, it's all yours. You own it. You don't like it. And that's all you. You're allowed to feel that. But you I guess the question is, after two years, is it.
It's still, I don't know the word to use, practical, to still be feeling that strong about it. I don't know. Two years. I don't know. I mean, it was a pretty serious relationship. I at one point thought we might have gotten married. Yeah, five years. Five years. You know, the thing that is sticking in my head is that... She obviously moved on, met somebody, and fell in love. He has moved on, too, but it doesn't, like, stick. Yeah, not fully moved on. Yeah, because he's still thinking to the point where he's, like, bummed. What are you bummed about most that you thought that there was a chance you guys may get back together or the fact that she's found somebody else or that you haven't? That's a really good question. Like, what bums you up? I don't know. I mean, it could be a whole bunch of things. I mean, I never saw her as somebody who would. who would settle down with anybody else other than me. So I'm even wondering if the relationship she's having with this other guy is even going to last. I mean, maybe it's just... Okay. You're concerned for her. I'm just going to say it. This may not be popular. This won't be popular. Just do it. But everybody inside, you're going to know I'm right, okay? You're going to be like, oh, no, Sky, of course I'm better than that. But no, you're lying. You're lying. You're not better than that. I'm not better than that. What are we all feeling? We're all better than you.
It upsets you because you want to be better than your ex. You don't want your ex to be happier than you. You want to, like, be better. You want to have more stuff going on. You want to have a better relationship, a better job. You want to make more money. You want to be living the life while they're, you know, sad and boo-hoo-y. That's the only way you're going to be happy. After two years, you want that? Forever. Really? Well, you want it until you get married and then you don't care. Well, yeah, until you reach the hype. Until you find the love in your life. If he found the love of his life first, whatever about her. Then you kind of let them know. You're like, oh, by the way, I'm getting married. See, I wouldn't. I wouldn't give a rip. If I was going to get married first, which I would obviously prefer that too, Sky. You're right. Why would I tell my ex? I don't care. Unless I still have feelings for him. The ex didn't tell him. I know, but I was just saying with Rob's thing. People don't always get married to the loves of their life, you know? So, I mean. Well, the thing that I find interesting is that you're convinced that you're still the love of her life. Exactly. That's a good point. Well, he's convinced that this guy isn't because he wants to be better. She can't find her love. You are better, dude. Yeah, you're better. You don't know. Yeah, you got more going on. You're more attractive. You have more friends.
It's not the case. Not in this case. So I think it's totally normal for it to bother you. I got no problems with that. You should tell her. I have a problem with it. What he said is that he's got a gal and they've been dating and he's close to being serious. If that were the case for me... I would give two rips if, you know, my ex from two years ago was giving me. I'd be like, oh, really? That's interesting. Oh, see, you're better than me. I get it. I get it. You're stronger than me. You're better than me. That's 100% true, but really not pertinent to this situation. I don't know, man. I think that's a little weird. You're not weird. You're normal. What about with his gal? Wouldn't that bother you? Well, she doesn't need to know that these are his true feelings right now. I love it. I don't think I'll tell my girlfriend now. No, of course not. It's normal. It happens. It doesn't mean anything. I don't think that you should tell. That's not something you need to. No. TMI, Mike. I don't know. I don't think you should be with her. Wait, Ash, what do you got? I have a question for Alex. Go ahead. If you envision your life.
and your wife, and what it's like with your wife, and what your future looks like with your wife, with the kids and everything. If you picture that woman, who do you picture more? The girl you're dating now, or the ex who is not getting married to someone else? Genuinely. You know the answer. Yeah, please. We all know. Yeah, you know, I mean, yeah, I could definitely think Janice would probably be the one there, but I mean... Her name is Janice? Yeah, it's not Candy. So I wasn't that far off with Candy or Ramon. No, you were way far. I prefer Candy. Janice. But I mean, I can't, you know, I mean, two years, I've kind of come to the realization that that's probably not going to happen, but I still feel awkward about it. Well, she's engaged, actually. Hey, man, maybe she doesn't know how you really feel. Oh, no. So now you want to break up the wedding. Great. Look at that. This is a graduate. Come on. Maybe you should write her a letter. No! Don't do that. Do not do that. Don't do that. She's moved on. She's happy. You need to do the same, bro. I think you'll never know. I think you'll never know. Oh, well. Hey, listen. That is a good question that you asked, Ash, because what does it tell us? It tells us that this poor girl he's with right now. Right? That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Ain't right. Dude, when you're with somebody, you're supposed to be with them because you really dig them. Stop it, Sky. Sky. It's not cool, man. Dude.
Right now. They're not engaged. Just explore the space. You're fine. You have feelings. You're going to work it out. This is what exploring the space sounds like. Translate, Mike. I might like you. I don't know. I might like you. I don't know. You're a warm body. You have a pulse. That's okay. You sound like old me. I know I wish you were candy. Yes. I love candy. That's sweet. You know it, baby. Too bad. Well, Alex. Anybody have feelings on this, by the way? 570-1053. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. I would resolve feelings about Janice. Well, how do you do that? You think about, well, what ultimately led this thing to end? What ultimately led this thing to end? Why didn't it work out? We just couldn't get along.
fighting there you go that will help you to that will help you to resolve remember those good times yeah you said you were together for five years and it was only the last six months that you guys were really fighting and you got to know that it's like a roller coaster sometimes you're going to go through Sometimes you go through pits where you fight a lot, but then people get better, you know? You work on it. Listen, steal her back away. Show up at the wedding. Yes. And when they say, speak now or forever in peace, go, hey, what's up? That's your spot right there, jumping. I still love you. You're my girl, Candy. That'd be so romantic. I love it. I want candy. I'm in. Well, good luck to you, Alex. Thanks. I think we helped a lot. You're the worst. Ashley's the worst. Ashley's the worst. And then Sky. I'm sorry for honesty. And that's it. P1 Butterfly. Good morning, everybody. I was just calling about that guy. I had almost a similar thing happen with me. And mine was pretty crazy. But the thing is, come on. She's...
She's already getting married or she has gotten married. And just as I have already, you know, I'm not Janice, but. Were you Janice or were you the other dude? Actually, I was Janice because I was once engaged before I joined the military. And then some crazy stuff just happened when I just came back from deployment and then found out my guy was cheating on me. And then things went totally downhill from there. So let me just understand correctly, though, Butterfly, you're dating a dude, you break up with dude, you meet new dude, fall in love, and the old dude's freaking out about it? Yeah, the old dude's freaking out about it. Like, still trying to get in my business about, oh, hey, you know, I still love you and stuff, but I'm like, no. Yeah. Yeah. So how did you, what did you say to him? Well, I just told him that I moved on. Once a cheater, always a cheater. That's different. You moved on. I found someone more secure. And you found somebody more secure. Yeah. That's different, though, Mike, because he cheated. You know what I mean? Once a cheater, always a cheater. Like, I get that. Wait, are you saying that as long as it wasn't that they were cheating, I mean, let's say that they broke up because this girl, Butterfly, realized that she just wasn't into him. Does that dude, you think he should still keep trying? I mean, after all, she's found somebody new.
don't know sometimes i guess it just it just depends on the person yeah it might depend on love and everything but it just i don't know sometimes you just your heart just has to go another way and maybe you just got tired of the person geez or up or maybe in my in my situation it was just um the guy just my ex just couldn't handle that i was always gone so yeah all right well i platform butterfly thank you for the phone call i appreciate it Yeah, no problem. P1 Johnny. Morning, Mikey. How are you? Good. Hey, I was just wondering. I just don't get the mindset that this guy has about, you know, wanting to do better or be better than her ex, whether it's a guy or a woman. I don't see that. I mean, I thought she had it together, but that's like really, you know, mind effing yourself. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, I get you. But, like, if I'm being honest with myself and if I'm looking deep down.
I would rather me have the awesome job and the awesome life and the awesome spouse overhearing my ex achieve those things before me. Johnny, it may be a chick thing because as a dude, I've never felt that with a chick that I'm not with anymore. I've never thought, oh, she's doing better than me. But it may be a chick thing. That may be a girl thing. Girls may be like, oh, I don't want my ex-boyfriend to be. And the white picket fence. Yeah, I want to get my craft together and move on before him and be successful at it. Where I was always at was just always so heartbroken and always so hurt that if I heard that they were getting married and they were happy, it would hurt me heartbroken. It wouldn't be like, oh, you know, they got their stuff together before me. I was. Well, it depends on the timeline. Like if it happens like directly after breakup and your heart is still hurting, then yeah. But if it's two years down the road, then that's where I'm coming from with that. But that's just me. See, and I'm like, eh.
I expect them to eventually do something. You know, I expect them to get married. Not before I do it, Mike. For real? Not before I do it. That's honest. I've got to be the best. Thank you, P1 Johnny. It just seems like such a waste of energy and time to be thinking about what somebody else is doing. Just move on with your life. Well, yeah. No way, man. I think it's better to not know what your ex is up to. I think that's like the, you know, best case scenario in all this because then you don't have to. You know, it doesn't get in your head. Constant updates. Hey, Sky. P1 Shorty agrees with Sky. Are you there, Shorty? Yes. Go ahead. You agree. Yeah, I agree with Sky 100%. I have married and moved on and have my own family and everything, but I totally relish the fact that my exes got really fat when we broke up, and hopefully they're broken inside. Oh, my. Wow. I love you. I love you so much. Holy moose. Now, wait a second. Wow. Awesome. Wow. It sure is being honest. I love her. If they didn't treat me right and they didn't respect me and appreciate me enough to know how good I am and how good we could have been together, then it's their loss and their broken heart. Uh-huh.
You go, girl. Hey, girl. Yeah, and I think that has something to do. I think she hit on it, too. If they wronged you, if the ex wronged you, that's also part of the motivation. Yeah, I feel it, girl. You're the best. There you go. P1 Linda, you there? Hi. Hi, Michael. What's up? You know, I think that you become totally hateful when someone has wronged you. And so that's the level of emotional immaturity. But as far as Alex is concerned, we're capable of loving many. We can love, love, love. Love, love, love. Love, love, love, love. I agree. As you become emotionally more mature. You can still love the past and people that have been in your past and get married, but not wish hateful things for them. I think that's a level of emotional immaturity.
I agree. But Skye and Shorty, they both say, I don't care. That's how I feel. I don't wish bad things upon them. I just wish awesome things and better things for me. But Skye, you cheered when she said... Well, it made me laugh. That was hilarious. Standing ovation you gave her. That's right. Skye, you stood up and saluted. It was fun. P1 Brown. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, this guy is like living in pipe dreams, man. They obviously, you know, they broke it off because they weren't getting along. But he's fooling himself if he thinks there's any possible way that anything could possibly kindle with that. Never say never. Well, she's engaged, Ashley. She's engaged. Isn't it time to say never? Haven't you ever seen Wedding Crashers, bro? Wait. I mean, come on. That's a movie. What is a bad movie? It's a movie. The very end went Owen Wilson, and he stood up with Rachel McAdams, and guess who she took back? Owen Wilson. You know what? I'm going to make sure that the day Ashley gets married, I'm going to find one of her exes and have them show up and forever hold their peace. You know what I mean? I mean, that, I'm telling you. Hey, Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys.

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We're still looking at some very tough rides on our freeways here this morning because of the rain, and that really caused some major problems. Right now, the 805 North Bend is still quite heavy out of Chula Vista. A passing accident near 43rd, and that continues slow and go all the way up to Mesa College, and then a brief delay heading up over to 52. West on the 8th freeway, that's still seeing some plenty of brake lights here as well as you come out of the Cajon Valley towards East Main Street, and then slows again from Spring Street out towards Lake Murray. Another heavy ride from the Mission Gorge Road out towards Mission Center Road. There's an accident in that 805 in the middle of that, just making things tougher. And then it slows again from Hotel Circle heading to the 5. Heading south on that 15. Reduced speeds and brake class pretty solid now from the 78 Overlake Hodges through Rancho Bernardo all the way down to Poway Road before it lets you go. And the coaster ride South 5 has actually improved quite a bit. Just a brief glitch from Encinitas down to Birmingham Drive. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show. Hey. Hey.
I never, ever get through, and I'm up early enough today to finally get through. I wanted to tell Mikey about Sleep Train. I got a deal there that will beat anything I've ever heard on the radio ever. You're the best. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, dude. Sleep Train's great. What did you get? What kind of mattress? Okay, Simmons Beauty Rest. Isn't that what you have, Sky? Yeah, I think so. Yeah? Simmons Beauty Rest. It was a $6,000 mattress they gave to me for half price. Whoa. That's awesome. And they threw in pillows. A sheet set, a bed frame, and a mattress pad. Word. What? For free. That's the way it goes at Sleep Train. That's true. Oh, I bet it's so freaking comfortable. Like a cloud. Oh, I want it. But yeah, it's a Simmons Beautyrest. They even broke down the difference between the best ones and the lower end ones. And I guess the only thing better is what you got is a Stearns and Foster. I love it. California King Ultra Soft. It was $59.95. They gave it to me for $29.95 and gave me everything I just said free. Lucky. A 600 thread count sheet set for free. You're awesome. Thank you for calling. Okay. The Mikey Show. Featuring Mikey. Mine. Right arm is almost completely sleeved. Eddie. I don't like sports that are judged. Sky.
I'm not a big fan of combining foods. Like, you know, like. Yeah. Boston Rob. You know me. I love a good tattoo. And Ashley. I don't like to waste food. On Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 840. A La Mesa man was robbed at gunpoint last night after he refused to buy a bag of weed from a guy standing on the street. That's weird. Not sure if you guys have heard about this story or not, but the coach of the Texas high school basketball team that beat another team 100 to nothing was fired. Are you serious? Yeah. Because they felt it was unsportsmanlike. What is 100 to nothing? Well, they were still shooting three-pointers in the fourth quarter. When they were up. And it was 59 to nothing at halftime. So what should he have done at halftime? Like just put in the really, really bad players? I would think you definitely put your second string, right? Second team. Absolutely. And you probably, you know, don't shoot three-pointers. And you don't have, like, the full-court press on this team. So you tell your players, hey. Lay off a little.
Give them a break. Well, it's 59 to nothing. Just kind of maybe sit down in the middle of court and let them do their thing. You could and still win. Now, you know what? I don't know how you feel about this, Eddie, but if this were, and this probably would never happen, but if it were football, say, on a professional level, I say put the hammer down. Those are professionals out there. Because I've heard that before, you know, like when guys in professional football, when a score kind of starts to get run away with. Yeah. Like, it just came up with the Lions season. And I heard somebody say that, and I agree. If you're a professional, you're getting paid. You're an adult man that's out there on the field getting paid to play professional football. Come on. You know, if you're kids, you're talking about kids. That's kind of different. You know, they're kids, man. The pros, I'm not sure if I understood. Like, if it's kids like this, high school, man, like, come on. We're teaching these kids to, like. Sportsmanship. Sportsmanship and all that. But when pros. If you're an adult, you're paid to, it's your job to defend and to not have them run up the score on you. Sure, Jay, you're an adult man. 570-1053. We're getting all these calls about this phone call that we took of this guy saying, listen, I broke up with my girlfriend two years ago. We were dating for five years. I just found out she's getting married.
it bugs and sky said yeah it's okay listen we are all thinking it none of us are saying it but basically the bottom line is we don't want to see our ex kind of do better than we are and be at a better station in life than we are and this guy agrees with sky it's p1 brian are you there brian yeah i'm here mikey what's up not too much dude so you agree yeah you know and yeah i just wanted to explain why now here's why for me is because You know, me and my ex, we were dating for a while and found out, you know, that she was cheating on me. And so I guess because of all that, for me, I kind of feel like if she's in a better place than I am after what she did, I feel like I got the short end of the stick, you know? Yeah, I feel you. Yeah, I think, like I said before, it has a lot to do with if, like, you were wronged by that person. You know, I mean, at least for me, you don't, you know, wish any ill on them, but you want to be better. Yeah, now if it ended in good terms... Don't laugh at me when I say that. That just sounds so classy. Well, I'm being honest. I'm trying to wrap my brain around what it means, like, if they find love... I want to be happier. I feel if they wronged me, they're a bad person, and, you know, karma should not let them be, you know, happier than me.
No, they can be happier after me. After you. After you. After you. But I need it first because I'm the better person. Hey, Sky. Clearly. Thank you. Sky, P1 Tony agrees with you, too. Thank you, Tony. What's up, Tony? Tony? Hello, yes. Yeah, you agree with Sky, too. Oh, for sure. What do you think? Coming from a male's perspective, like growing up not having like a whole lot, you'd always get that girlfriend that had the best. the parents or the friends that are always like, oh, he's not good enough for you. And, you know, he can never give you what you need. You need all this stuff. So, I mean, later on in life, you kind of want those people to see, including the girl, and just be like, oh, my gosh, the guy's doing so good. We were so wrong about him. Now, that is an interesting angle. That's an interesting angle because then, like, you're an underdog. And that is an interesting, like, you know, the... the girl's parents or the guy's parents that you're dating, they never wanted you in the first place. And so, you know, and I mean, I can see it's definitely a different angle. Yeah. And so it's like, you're like, you almost wish that those people like see your Facebook or MySpace and be like, wow, that guy's doing really good. I love it, dude. Hey, I appreciate the phone call, man. Thanks for calling. Yeah. That's P1 Tony. I always felt like such a loser that
when I broke up with somebody or when I got broken up with somebody, if they were doing better before me, that's what I figured would happen. Because I always felt like such a loser inside that I figured that they'd probably do that anyway because that's just the way it goes, you know? But I don't know, man. That's an interesting perspective, the way that guy said it. Kind of painted it like in an underdog kind of way. You know, all my exes were so distraught after... Oh, I'm sure. Without me, once you have this, it's hard to go anywhere else. Star Wars marathons. Video gaming. It's like, how do you move on from that? Eddie is giving Sky a look that says, really? So is this the rules of engagement? This is all I am, apparently. Sky. That's all your boy is inside. You play a lot of poker. Yeah, it's hard. It's tough. I'm sorry, Eddie. Okay, now I know where we stand. I think this could mean war. What? I hope it doesn't. Oh, boy. You are on something today. I appreciate it. Okay, thank you. That is not Chewbacca, Eddie. That's my heart breaking. This is his heart. Real good. Thanks, Kai. 570-1053 is our phone number.
P1 Sid does not agree. P1 Sid says it's incorrect. Go ahead, Sid. Yeah, I don't agree with that because of the fact that I think people should have equal chance that anything they do, and I know it hurts at first, but, you know, people just got to get over it and move on because I was in a relationship one time. It went down south because of a few reasons. I won't say it on the air. It might get a little hectic if I start explaining, but, I mean, right now, I dated with a girl for a really long time. Things went haywire, and then I started dating my other girl, and I've been with her for three years. We're going to be getting married in June, and I think it's a lot better to move on and never forget about it. Was that Ashley coughing? Yeah, that was a half cough. Weird. She almost made it. My fingers slipped off the off button. She almost made it to where it was off. Well, that's ideal, bro. Like, I feel you. That's like, you know, perfect world stuff, you know? But I'm just being honest about how I feel about it. Sky's telling you where she is, man. That's what she feels. I get what you're saying. It's just like some people just have that thing where I guess they don't like what happens to their significant other at the time because like it just happens that way. You know, it's like everything happens for a reason. Maybe that just wasn't for you, even though how much you wanted it to be for you. It just wasn't for you. And you just got to find out what is for you. Yeah.
And I agree with you. There's no point in obsessing on it. That's not like, oh, here's my secret plot to be better than my ex. It's not like that. But I would rather him hear that I'm getting married before I hear he's getting married. I don't sit around dwelling on it. You're a horrible person. I am not a horrible person. The only thing that would make me go that direction is the underdog thing about like if their parents were saying you weren't good enough. You're a good person. Don't try and be like Scott. And aren't you kind of an underdog if they wrong you? If they cheat on you, it's kind of like, oh, they think they're better than you. Yeah. We'll make it however you want it, sweetie. Whatever makes you feel like a normal person. Hey, just because you're hurt by my Star Wars comment, you don't need to lash out. You mean devastated? Devastated. I don't know. I don't know, man. 570-1053, Texas. 35253 is the phone number. P1 Concrete Project. Is that? It's not on the line. P1 Rocky. Rocky, are you there? Hey, Mike. What's going on? What's up, man? You know what? I think what everyone's missing is there's probably another side of the story. If this guy is sitting here,
obsessing over this thing for two years? What if he was the one that wronged her? See, we didn't find that out. And we don't know that he's obsessing over her. Yeah, he just said he heard she was getting married and it bothered him. Okay, but you're saying you were the right person, they did you wrong, but what if this guy isn't the one that, what if this guy's the one that did her wrong? Yeah, well, he said it was mutual, but yeah, he could... Could be whatever. We don't know. I thought he said she broke up with him, which is even more, you know. Yeah, he said that they had been fighting and it was kind of on both their sides. But yeah, she was the one who ended it. Yeah. So after two years, you would think the individual would be over it. And then it wouldn't be a... Never over it. Until you do better. You never over it until you do better. That is true. I have that on a t-shirt. That's right. That's happening. So as soon... Listen. As soon as you, you know, get a better job and a better... relationship, then it is finally over. Yes. Now I can move on. Now I can. Hey, thanks for the call, Rocky. I appreciate it. You know, we still have a Fitzgerald fact to do at some point today. I'm ready whenever you are. We will do it. It's not happening yet. Ashley, you just hold your horses. You just hold your facts. Hold on to your facts. It's Super Bowl week. This weekend is it. That's right.
Arizona Cardinals are in the Super Bowl? That's crazy. Something's wrong. I got to get my Kurt Warner jersey this week. Stop saying that. Why does that bother you? You know I like the Cardinals. How come you've never gotten a jersey before then? Because the Cardinals haven't been in the Super Bowl. Exactly. That's the, you know, definition of bandwagoning. Yeah. This is the Mikey Show. Because there's obviously a difference in the way that you approach special teams. Let's say you're a coach. And you're teaching high school guys what it is that they need to have up here when they're approaching special teams. What would you say? What is it? Reckless abandonment. I love it. Yeah. I mean, you just got to realize that you have to do the job because no one else is going to do it. It's like being a kamikaze. You're just running down. And if you get hit from the side, so be it. If you run through somebody, so be it. It's just get them before they get you. Absolutely. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Mikey Show. It's 9 o'clock. Well, this is nuts. They don't sound like anybody else. And then you said that. And I was like, wait, no, wait. Oh, no. Wait a second. Maybe they do.
This is you too, right? That's a good one. I like that song. Welcome back. I know people are calling for it. I know people want it. I know people are in their car right now screaming for it. Give it to a mic. The Mikey Show now presents Ashley's Fitzgerald Facts. You know what this is? It's Ashley's tribute to my Arizona Cardinals. Are you for real? Dude, I'm finally getting the jersey. Man, it's taking me a while now. Let me tell you, I'll wear the jersey and I'll take it off after the Super Bowl and I won't put it back on until they do something like go to the playoffs again. Okay. I would wear it during the playoffs and I would wear it during the Super Bowl. And, hang on. Wait. And if they were losing... Wow. Yeah, yeah.
I would hide it. Oh, Mike. You are the worst. That is the worst. You shouldn't admit these things. I'd never wear it. This is bad. No. I like it. You're the opposite of what a fan should be. Wow. Okay. You know what I'm saying? No. Totally. Wow, Mike. Really? I don't understand. I wouldn't do that for the Chargers. I love the Chargers. Oh, the Chargers. The Chargers. I love them. Yeah? But listen. What's up, Mike? Listen. We all know that when our team... Find somebody else. We want to find somebody before our team. Ashley is in love with Larry Fitzgerald. I defy someone to watch the Super Bowl this weekend when number 11 catches a football and not think of Ashley. Because she loves number 11, Larry Fitzgerald. And she's got little facts about Larry Fitzgerald leading up to the Super Bowl. He's so good. Some are interesting. Some are fake. Okay. I'll flat out say it. Every day. You don't know that. I will flat out say it. You are not the Fitzy expert like she is. That's true. What do you know, Ashley? Okay. For the listeners that don't know that maybe would like to know, Larry Fitzgerald, number 11 on the Cardinals going to the Super Bowl. We already know.
Fitzgerald's father, Larry Sr., is actually a sports writer for the Minnesota Spokesman Recorder. And Larry Sr. has covered the Super Bowl every year for the Spokesman Recorder since 1981. And it is believed that it will be the first time ever that a sports writer father... has covered his own son playing in the Super Bowl night. That's cool. That's awesome. That's a good fact. Thank you for your facts. After that, we found out. Well, I read further. When I was reading, I read further, and I actually found out that after the Super Bowl this year, Fitzgerald's going to become so huge that every article in every paper will actually be written about him. That's true. Like even the entertainment section. Every article in every paper. The business section. It's going to be about Fitzgerald. Wow. I'm looking forward to that. That is fascinating. I'm looking forward to that. We heard a great fact and then she ruined it. Fascinating. At least we know now that it's time for Boston Rob's Palamalu Point of Interest. Interest. Please don't. Interest. No. Well, guys, this sensual Samoan has been saving. Sensual. Sensual. We dropped out sexy for sensual. Sensual? Really? Really? What can you tell me about? I didn't interrupt. Sensual Samoan. Can I?
Continue. Thank you. He's been saving his fingernails for five years, and he is going to build a library for kids who can't read in Pittsburgh. That is so sweet. But this man invented the word tackle. He gave the word tackle to football. He did? Yes. No, he did. I mean, before that. Before they didn't have a word for it. No. Look, he stopped them. Yeah, look at that. I wish I had a word for what to do. That guy ran into that guy and he fell down. And he gave that word to the NFL and to Earth. It's gorgeous. Also, Palomalu can just have one. Lay's potato chips. No way. I thought that was humanly impossible. That's hardcore. The willpower. That's hardcore. Stupid. Beat that. Oh, whatever. Okay. Well, we learned a lot today, didn't we? Yeah, we did. We really, really did. That's cool. I'm going to play you something that will trip you out about this guy, Rod Bogoyevich, the governor of Illinois who's being impeached. And people feel very strongly about this Rod Bogoyevich.
Oh, look at his hair. Yeah, it's the hair. It's fancy. But until you hear this. It was a changing kind of telephone call. I thought at first somebody was playing a practical joke on me. Who was it and what did they say? Well, it was the agents that came and said what they said. And I said, who is this? Are you playing a joke on me? I thought it was actually a friend of mine who was playing a practical joke. Unfortunately, it wasn't. And then, you know, the day unfolded, and I had a whole bunch of thoughts. Of course, my children and my wife. Brace yourselves. He's about to do a comparison. And then I thought about Mandela, Dr. King, Gandhi, and tried to put some perspective in all of this. And that's what I'm doing now. What the heck? What the heck? Yeah, then he thought to himself that he was a lot like, you know, he was going through, what, Nelson Mandela? Martin Luther King Jr. How dare he? And Gandhi. Oh my gosh. Have gone through. Oh. Oh my gosh. Which is a little boy.
You know, some rocks on that one. Wow. Definitely some rocks going on there. Some boulders. Some boulders. I found an interesting clip from him this morning as well. Yeah. Going on the Today Show, this is his first big media interview since he's been accused of trying to sell Barack Obama's Senate seat. And they're doing these impeachment hearings, which, you know, he says he will not step down, but he will not take part in the impeachment hearings because he thinks they're not fair. Oh, my. You can conceivably bring in 15 angels and 20 saints led by Mother Teresa to come in and testify to my good character and my integrity and all the rest. It wouldn't matter. There's no chance whatsoever to have a fair hearing. He likes to throw around big names. Bring in Jesus. They won't listen to him. It's what he's saying. They won't listen to him. That's so weird. Why bother? That's so weird. Wow. Ew. Ew. Wow. Listen, this is the deal. Name dropper. Obviously, it seems that the psychology here is if the bigger the name, the more innocent I'll look because people will think, how would he possibly say this if he weren't telling the truth? Totally. It's having the opposite effect.
Are you ready for this one? This is good stuff. This is good stuff. This is a little delicious. This is a Broadway show called Gypsy, okay? And in the middle of a performance, Patti LuPone. Oh, yes. Patti LuPone. My favorite. Who apparently is in Gypsy, was upset that somebody was taking pictures. Now, if you've never been to one of these Broadway shows, they tell you. They tell you before the show starts. In the same way that if you go to a movie theater, they have the announcement that says turn off your cell phones. They do the same thing. Can't take pictures? Can't take pictures, Rob, because it's dark in there and they're on stage and that would be very distracting. You can't take pictures. You can't record it. You can't videotape it. You can't film it? No, you can't do any of this. What can you do in there? You can watch. That's about it. What about a drawing? Yes, can I do a rendering? Yes. Jackal. Yeah. Jackal render, yeah. How did you know that's my favorite? Light shading. I know you. So anyway, this guy takes pictures during the middle of Gypsy and Patti LuPone gets upset. With a show. Who's running for fun? That is nuts. That was an overreaction. Yes. Yes. I would have loved to have been there. I think I'm a tourist.
Oh, my gosh. Couldn't she have waited until she went off stage and told somebody, hey, that guy in the audience, get him out of here. That was crazy. That is psycho style. I would have given anything to have been in that audience. Sitting next to that guy going, I want to go to her show now and just take as many pictures as I can. Dude, that is so outrageous. That was wild. I mean, you've got a story the rest of your life, bro. You're after dinner, the conversation there, like, hey, how about that performance? Yeah, you know when I stopped the show? That was great. And in all seriousness, like, how do you really start the show back up again? And from the top. The show must go on. Yeah. Oh, man. I mean, your head, if you're in that audience, you're gone. Oh, yeah. You're gone. All you can think of is what just happened. And what about, you know, if you're in the show? Oh, yeah. Like, let's say you're not even Patty. Yeah. The people in the orchestra are playing, thinking to themselves, this is crazy. And then her fellow actors are probably like, is this for real right now? Can she do that? Yeah. It's pretty gnarly. Because I want to stop it a couple of times. Now, if you did not know, there is a couple of new things that we're doing at MikeyShow.com. First of all, Ashley is doing the Mikey Minute.
And you can see Ashley on the Mikey Minute every day at MikeyShow.com. You've got to see Friday. Oh, that's the next one. Well, Friday in general was delicious for both days. It was a good day. It was fantastic. Those were great. But the Mikey Minute is where she will recap the show and tell us what happened on that day's show. But then she's doing this new thing called the Ashley After Show. And the Ashley After Show is fantastic. It's where she will, if we have a guest, take them aside and interview them about how the interview went. And on days that we don't have a guest, she'll talk to one of us. Oh, great. Let me tell you, I think that P1 Corman put it best. Yeah. He says, Mikey, the Ashley After Show is like watching a NASCAR race. Not really interesting, but I keep watching, hoping for a huge accident. That's so true. It's coming. It's phenomenal. It's phenomenal, and you've got to go watch it. It's at MikeyShow.com if you haven't seen them. And they're just, there's no words. They're fantastic. Text us at 35253. We would love to get a text message from you.

If you're heading up to the mountains here this morning, I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. I love the Democrats. You're obviously sexist. And cash. I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. Show's on. Rock 105.3. That's right. Scott didn't appreciate that. I don't even know what I said. I don't either. I know what you said. What did I say? I will not repeat it. Say it. I smell a song. He will not. You'll ruin this song for me. Yes. Yes. Yes. More motivation. It's a sunburned song, and it's my back is on fire. Done and done. Get to the lab. Done. Mikey, I can't get any work done when you guys are on the air. If you guys sucked, I would probably get my raise. We'll work on them. Millionaire and the TV show 30 Rock were the big winners last night at the SAG Awards. The Chiefs fired their head coach Herm Edwards on Friday. They say they're interested in Mike Shanahan.
Mikey, you ruin everything. I see Metallica now, and all I can think about is Lars Wooden's shoes. Now I got to be thinking about Ashley during the Super Bowl. Come on, bro. Yo, yo, yo, kiddo. Your mic, your mic. Hello? Yes, Quimby, your microphone was on there. Hey, listen, we got Quimby. What about my blog? That's right. We got Quimby working the phones. That chick that's a trainer on Biggest Loser, she looks like the actress that played Hope on Days of Our Lives. If Hope were a guy. What was her name? First of all, by the way, she's still on Days of Our Lives. Come on. Beau and Hope, timeless. They're not timeless. They have an end. They have a proper end. Sometimes they take a break.
They work it out, bro. Maybe Stefano will put an end to it. Stefano. Hey, let me tell you something. Me and Eddie both know about this for the same reason. Because of his sister. Forced us. Forced us to watch it. I would get up and go into the other room and turn the channel. and watch TV in the other room, she'd come into that room and change it to put it on. She was helping. I didn't want to watch it. I was like 14. What about Marlena? She's still around too. She's still around too. Stupidest storyline. It's John Black. What if Jack Black showed up? For your real DOL fans. That would be awesome. I understand. I'm sorry. I understand you're hurt. So I got to go from talking about Days of Our Lives to Wham's Careless Whispers? This is a great show for you. It's the gay hour. I mean, is this for real? Where's Sean when you need him? I know it. Too soon. No, I can't do it. No, no, it hurts. Sky, who's covering Careless Whisper?
Well, this will be available tomorrow through Verizon's Vcast. Don't upset me. Seether. Seether. I have a feeling it's going to be really cool. Like what? I love Seether. They're real good. They are awesome. I don't remember how Kayla's Whisper goes. I'm never going to dance again. You don't have to sing it, Mike. We have it, Mike. It's going to be good. We have it in the system. I put it up for you, but this is better. You can play the real one. I mean, fine. I'm going to kill this. Oh, wow. Do they need a saxophone player? This is dramatic. I love saying Mike. Both Eddie and Rob are doing air saxophone with the wire from their headphones. You guys are good. Such a good song. So it'll be available tomorrow through Verizon's Vcast, and then next week on February the 3rd, you can start getting it on iTunes and stuff. I think me, Eddie, and Rob...
Should do a video for this. Yeah, yeah. Oh, that would be beautiful. We should do a video for this. Sexy is what it is. Absolutely. And it's just all of us slow dancing. It's the whole thing. You know what it is? It's two of us slow dancing, and then periodically another one comes, taps on the shoulder. Yeah, got to cut in. To cut in. And then they dance, and then the other one waits about a minute. They come in and tap. That is Tim and Eric right there. That is Tim and Eric. And then we kiss. Okay. All right, Eddie. But then when you said that, it was like. Oh, shoot. That was not. I thought we were just brainstorming. Oh, that's an interesting thought, Eddie. Damn it. I should have kept it to myself. I feel so embarrassed. Oh, man. Oh, my God. Darn it. Oh, wow. That's really weird. I don't need to shave. Oh, my. Well, what happened there, huh? Oh, my gosh. You know, all it keeps running to my head is my back is so fine. That's all that I can think about right now. It's in my head right now. Can I go make that song? Yes, you can leave. Please. Leave him alone. Me? Yeah, you're so mean to that. I know it.
I had your back all morning when you were being a crazy person. I was not being crazy. Get in your back. Rob, that's not very nice. She's being insane. Shut up, you dorks. Mikey, I'm with you. I lived in Tempe for 30 years, relocated to California. I'm going to buy a Cards jersey this weekend and go to Arizona to watch the game. That's P1 bandwagon. Good for you, brother. Let's see. Mikey. So let's get this straight. Sky, when they start like that, you never like them because that's how I always start that sentence. Let me get this straight. Let's clarify. I'm confused. Sky likes to live in quote unquote reality, but elected a president who lives in fantasy land. Why does Obama live in fantasy land? Wow. Really got you there. Well, could he have given a fact to back up his statement? Like, I don't understand why we're living in fantasy land. That's exactly, Skye. Well, no. He didn't say anything. Exactly. Mikey, just wanted to let you know I'm starting school today after four years. Just got out of the Navy. I'm very nervous, so please wish me luck. Good luck, man. That's got to be tough going back to school. I would not want to go back to school. I would be very nervous. I was always nervous.
First day of school for me was the worst. Let's see. A couple of interesting things here. A couple of big stories that I have not mentioned to you. Molly Ringwald is having twins. 40 years old. She's pregnant with twins. A boy and a girl. She's currently filming. She's on this show for ABC Family called The Secret Life of an American Teenager. They're going to write her pregnancy into the storyline. Was there... Besides Ally Sheedy, was there another girl in Breakfast Club? Mm-mm. Was it just the two of them? Yeah. What do you think of that? Do you like that movie, Eddie? Yeah. Have you seen it yet? What, Breakfast Club? Yeah. Have I seen it? Yeah. I do. That movie was like the hugest thing in the world when I was in high school. Why do you say that? I thought you had said that you hadn't like seen... No, dude. Oh, I haven't seen all those other John Hughes movies. Okay, okay. I haven't seen... I've never seen Pretty... Pretty in Pink. I've never seen Sixteen Candles. I've obviously seen TBS scenes like flipping through the channels in TBS. That doesn't count, Mike. I know, it doesn't. I haven't seen most of those movies. I haven't seen Weird Science. Chet. Have you seen Uncle Buck?
Weird science like you have some rocks on you. I know it. What do I quote? What do I say from that? The cigar and the dirty ashtray, the pork sandwich or whatever the heck. Is that from that movie? I'm serious. Your nace was priceless right there, dude. For real? Well, where did you think it was from? I heard it somewhere. Oh, Mike. I probably heard a comedian say it or something. Have you ever seen Uncle Buck? I think I actually saw Uncle Buck in San Diego. So good, Mike. I own it. Really? So who owns Uncle Buck? On VHS or on DVD? I owned it on VHS. I used to own it on VHS, but now I have it on DVD. Was it right next to your planes, trains, and automobiles? That's a good movie. Oh my gosh. Wow. What just happened? The Great Outdoors. Anyone? Thank you. Anyone? Do not know that, Eddie. Love it. I don't know The Great Outdoors. Who's in it? John Candy. Dan Aykroyd, John Candy. I didn't like John Candy. Really? What? I didn't think he was funny. There are certain actors that I say, eh, didn't really think they were funny, that people trip out. Like, Phil Hartman, he did nothing for me. Oh, I love Phil Hartman. He didn't do anything for me, man. He was great. I always thought that he was like, uh...
The same guy, the same character. You know, really, there was very few Saturday Night Live guys that I thought were just absolutely brilliant. I thought Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock were, and Chris Farley. Farley, dude. Dude, Farley was the funniest thing alive. Will Ferrell. What about Chevy Chase? I don't think Chevy Chase is funny. That's Steve Martin. You know, Chevy Chase, wasn't he like more cool than, him and the dude from Caddyshack. Bill Murray. Him and Bill Murray were more. Bill Murray's awesome. Bill Murray's my friend. He is. Bill Murray is my friend. He is. He's a good friend of mine. Really? Can we get him on the phone right now? He's busy. He is? Yeah. Okay. But did you think they were more like cool or did you think they were really funny? I think Bill Murray's hysterical. He's one of my, if I were naming like the top five funniest people on the planet, he would be in my top five. Get out of here. For real? I love Bill Murray. Oh my gosh. Yeah, his comedy's great. He's genius. Genius. Let's see. Over 300 Marines and sailors got back from Iraq this weekend. That's pretty cool. I wonder if they'll have to go back. I don't know. Hey, Barack, what's up, Matt? Trust me, they're going back. He said first 90 days. But then he changed it. And he said first 90 years. They had been deployed for more than a year, so it was a very happy homecoming this weekend.
Obama reversed some of President Bush's policies on abortion and the environment, but I think the abortion one isn't what we would expect. No, it's not. I think it's called the Mexico City policy, which is really weird because this is something Reagan did once when he was like in Mexico City. So the abortion one was basically a ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information. So Ronald Reagan was the first one. It was his idea back in 84. And then as soon as Clinton came in office, he reversed it. And then as soon as Bush came in office, he reinstated it. And now one of the first things Obama has done is to reverse it. Because they also give education. It's not like they just go around doing abortions. They also educate about condoms and other things like that. But if they educate about abortions, then they would get no money from us. environmental stuff Obama is working on today. He's taking steps to raise fuel efficiency standards and then also something that the governor has really wanted is giving states the authority to set their own emission limits for each state. And they put the computer chip back in Al Gore. Thank goodness. Thank goodness. Poor guy.
P1 Pimperoni was going to ask, would you rather be with Jessica Simpson or Scarlett Johansson? Eddie gave me a look like that's a no-brainer. That's a no-brainer. Calm down. Absolutely. Calm down. Jessica Simpson or Scarlett Johansson? Okay. Because I know, but Eddie, I know you love, you think Jessica Simpson's pretty hot. She's hot, yeah, but Scarlett Johansson's like on another level. Yeah? Yeah. I kind of agree with that. I 100% say Jessica Simpson. Really? I think Scarlett Johansson's very overrated. I don't think she's as hot as... You think Scarlett Johansson is overrated? I mean, people literally think that she's like the most beautiful and I don't see it. And that's just me. But I look at Jessica Simpson and I think she's gorgeous. Yeah, but I know what looks good. One's like a Cupid doll and one's like a woman. One is a Cupid doll and one is a woman. I don't know. You know what he's saying? I saw it the way you guys saw it. This one's going out to Scarlett Johansson. All cut in. Apparently there's a review out on RollingStone.com about guitar hero Metallica. Rob Eilish. You're stuck all over his feet. The Mikey Show is on.

I let it go the first time you said it. Go to YouTube and Google Botfly. Yes, yes, yes, yes, Eddie. I will not. Not for sensitive people. If you can't handle gross stuff, don't.
Don't. But if you can handle, I, dude. Oh, yeah. I've seen that. Let's take it down a notch. They have shows on Discover Channel about that. South America. Dude, South America get bit by a mosquito. They lay eggs. Yeah, they do. And they grow into larvae. Dude. And sometimes, sometimes they got to come out. I'm scared. I'm scared. Oh, dude. I'm scared. It's. I like the guy. Like, oh, it's so funny. This is cool. Dude. Dude, you're an idiot. Be crying. Dude, let me tell you something. Oh, there's another one. Good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, there's a few. Oh, there's a few. There's a few. Let me tell you. I would be. And I'm not kidding you. I'd be a mental patient. Oh, dude. Absolutely. I'd be. I'd be. I'd be. I'd be sobbing. I'd be in a loony bin. I'd be in a loony bin.
completely and totally like... People would walk by and see me in there and they'd be like bot fly. And they'd go, oh, I don't blame him then. I wonder why they have to put that tape on there, like to draw it out or something. Let me, dude. So, the first time I heard about it, this dude knew this guy that went down to South America. Eddie is like, no, this can't be, this can't be. Let me see. I'm coming around. I'm coming around. You guys are horrible people. They just yanked that one out. Squeeze it. I couldn't even deal. It's freaking foul. It should be in a movie. Bug. Here, hold it, guy. Hold it with some tweezers. He's just holding it with his hand. Anybody want to fly to South America? Oh, dude.
Why does this happen? I sure do not. So check this out. That one's gross. First time I heard about it, the guy said he knew some people went down there, right? South America. Came back. They had this little lump on their face. Dude. Didn't know what it was. Went to the doctor. The doctor, you know, felt it. Blah, blah, blah. Said, eh. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about because it was just red. It looked like a pimple. Got a little bit worse. A little bit worse. Person was on the phone to their relatives in South America that they were visiting, and they were telling them about it. They said, oh, it's a bot fly. Put bacon on your face. I beg your pardon, sir. Put bacon. Did you call it Kaiser? Put bacon on your face. What, and then rub some mud in it? Like, what are we talking here? Put bacon on your face, and it will draw it out.
So foul, dude. Why is this happening? So they put her on her face. No. What does that mean? Stop. It means that that thing that you just saw came out. It's so scary. It's so scary, so creepy, and it's real. Forget it. It's a real thing. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, you don't. Oh, no, you don't. Oh, no, you don't. It's so wrong, Mike. It's so wrong. It's wrong. Dude. And real. You guys are horrible people. I can't. There's a lot of these videos on YouTube. Dude, I know. I can't watch this. I know it. We move along. No. Hey, what's up, man? Hey, hang on a second. Have them change the name. Change the P1 name. Have them change the name to something. 5701053 is the phone number. We're going to do some P1 trivia in a little bit.
And Sky will tell you what Rollingstone.com says about the Metallica game, too, the Guitar Hero Metallica. We'll do it in just a little bit. P1's Zach. Are you there, Zach? Yes, I am, Mikey. Go ahead. The video, you guys, I'm assuming you're watching. I haven't seen the video, but from what you guys are describing, what it is is it's not the mosquito isn't laying eggs inside the person. What it is is there's this fly in South America. And what it does is it's so good, it'll capture the mosquito, lay eggs underneath it, and then as the mosquito goes to suck your blood, the eggs sense your body heat, and as the eggs sense the body heat, they'll drop down. I don't care. I don't care. It's disgusting. I don't care how it happens. It's disgusting. That's so gross. It's unreal. That's so gross. I love you, America. Oh, me too, dude. Doesn't that make you like Chicago a lot? I love it. You know what I mean? Yes. You're welcome, San Diego. Oh, man. That is horrid. So many things wrong with that. P1 James? Yes. What's up?
Hey, I just got my wife in the Mikey show about a year now, and she has not heard the sunburn story. Oh, shut your stupid mouth. Is that so? Kaiser, and she has no idea what you guys are talking about. Oh, I'm sure she doesn't. You know, I'm a little foggy on it, too. Okay. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. I will explain the sunburn story. Thank you. If she's listening, I'll explain the sunburn story. We're going to take a couple more calls on Botfly, and then tell the sunburn story, and then... We're also going to tell you about this Rollingstone.com article about the new Guitar Hero Metallica. That's all coming up. Thank you, Mike. P1 Matt. Hey, guys. Hi, Matt. Matt. Matt. It's not just South America. It's Central America and I think all the way up into the Boer regions, perhaps. Dude. And it breathes. It's a big hole, and this thing, this creature, lives underneath the skin, and it breathes. And the bacon, to draw it out, is just as suffocated. So you can also suffocate it with petroleum jelly. That must be what that tape is. Really? What the heck? And a lot of people that I work with actually think it's cool to get one because it's their little buddy, like, on their shoulder or something. Oh, come on now.
Get out of here. There's a whole group of wildlife biologists that live in the jungle, which is what I was doing back then, that think it's cool to, you know, quit the boredom, stop the boredom down there by having a little friend on your shoulder. I say not cool. Yes, that's my nightmare. I mean, that is the, it's the worst. It's the worst. I don't really know the natural history of it, but it's a thing. It grows and it breathes wherever it is encased in your body. Crazy. Crazy. Thank you for the call. That's P1 Matt. Weird. Now, the sunburn story. Do tell. Sky got a sunburn when we worked together in... Eddie, when you do little kid in front of 1940s radio, it's so funny. It's like the kid in front of the radio in 1940. It was a hot summer day. Skye and I were working together in San Jose at KSGO. And Skye came into the studio and she was in tears. And I thought something very, very serious had happened. She was very upset, distraught.
And I said, what is going on? She said, listen, I have a really, really bad sunburn. We've all been there. Yeah. And she said, and I've called my mom, and she's going to come get me. Well, I mean, somebody dropped her off to work? No, no. She said? So she had her car there and had to call her mother for a sunburn, Mike? Yes, Eddie, that is correct. She was in a lot of pain. She was in a lot of pain. She could not drive herself. It wasn't just a normal bad sunburn. How many times do I tell you? There were a lot of factors that played into this. There were a lot of factors that played into it. I was on medication that said don't go out in the sun and I got a horrible bad sunburn. But Skye, it was a birth control pill. And then I re-exposed. And then I re-exposed the sunburn to the sun, and that's when it flared up and was uncontrollable. Bro, she was on the pill. I mean, how many girls go to get a sunburn? I was on a handful of medications that all say, don't go out in the sun. Hey, ladies, listen, if any of you ladies listening right now are on the pill, do not go in the sun. Not every pill. Orthotricyclin. Certain pills. So, anyway.
Her mom, she retrieved her. Oh, thank goodness. She took, and I, you know, she took her to, she went to her mom's house. And, you know, she was in such pain that they finally called the Kaiser Helpline. Oh, my. That was messed up, bro. And the Kaiser Helpline. To this day, when I expose it to the sun, it feels weird. Well, it's because, Skye, you've got to tell me about the nerve damage. Well, yeah, that's why I think it feels weird now. Ashley, that was passive aggression at its best. What? At its best. That's the farthest thing from the truth. Hey, Skye, don't leave out the nerve damage, bro. Well, that's where the pain was coming. I'm telling you. Because I was swelling because I was pinching the nerves and sending shooting pains up my back. Tell me about how you almost died, dude. Whatever. So they called the Kaiser helpline, right? Will you let him finish? This guy's wife doesn't know what's up. I don't care. She's been listening to our show for a year and she's never heard please. It's never come up. All right. And so they called the Kaiser helpline. And the Kaiser helpline, and this is a true story.
said that you need to put urine on it. Mike, enough of your jokes. It's not a joke. I'm tired of it. That's the truth. One more ha-ha. Yeah, which probably would have worked for an average sunburn, but not when it's pinching nerves. The super sunburn. Because it wasn't that, the stinging wasn't the problem. Urin is my kryptonite. Like a norm, it was pinching nerves. The swelling, that's what the doctor told me when I finally went in. What he said, and he gave me a steroid cream. Pill based? No, that was before. Yeah. You're right. You put on pill paste if you're on the pill. There's no such thing as pill paste. You crush it up and rub it on your back. And one of those things that you use in the kitchen. It'll protect you from the deadly... Mortar and pesto. Yes, Rob. The deadly... That's the name of it, Rob, yeah. Mortar and pesto. Mortar. Mortar and pesto. You put it in your mortar and pesto? Oh, that's awesome. I'm not the one wearing pill paste. Exactly. And so her mom, her mom, her mom had a spray bottle and put it on her. It did not. That is ridiculous. It is not. It is ridiculous. Dude, a professional. It did not help. They were pulling a prank on her. They were not pulling a prank. It did not help. And so they put it on there and it didn't help. Oh, well, that's a ridiculous story.
Well, listen. Oh, man. This is tough. It's really tough. And so there you go. Big Charlie, huh? Big Charlie's never been the same, bro. P1 Peter. I'm going to have to probably get Big Charlie removed one day because of that. Oh, no. Go ahead. Go ahead. Okay. It was a couple of years ago, and I drove up. To me, I miss. And I was a little ignorant and I didn't put sunscreen on my face. And it was during the end of the season. So the sun was out and I snowboarded for like three days straight. And by the time I was driving home, I had blisters all over my face. Now that sounds serious. Now that sounds serious. No, I'm serious. No, I know. That is actually a very serious sunburn. Yes. I mean.
Sky did not have blisters. Sky had redness. The whole drive home. You know, a sunburn. As long as we're on nasty stuff, I have to bring that up. All right. You didn't have to. I hate to defend Sky. I just started getting married by the house. You're getting married to Johnny? We didn't know you were getting married. Yeah, me and I.
Oh, P1 Connor. Oh, I love him. Oh, my gosh. That's so great. Our invitation must have got lost in the mail. Yeah, that's right. It happens. No, no way. I want Scott Ashley to be my bridesmaid. Oh, wow. Look at you guys. I'm there, girl. Got it. There it is. What about me and Rob? Well, I thought you guys could be bridesmaids, too. Can I be the flower girl? There you go. All right. That's P1 Peaches. I like her. Rollingstone.com, they gave a preview or a review of Guitar Hero Metallica. They gave a preview where they, you know, because it's not out yet, and so we don't exactly have the track listing yet, but they talk about all the cool things that are going to be on the new Guitar Hero Metallica. And it sounds awesome. Like, there's different sets for all the different years spanning over the last 25 years. So you can have the different sets. And as you get better, I guess, the characters age. Like, they can start out young and older. Or you can choose. And Jason Newstead and Cliff Burton will not be apart. They will not be there. You cannot choose them as characters.
Yeah, but all the different set lists, I mean, all the different sets, a lot, a lot of cool stuff. So the track list should be out, I think, next week, and then we'll know exactly every song that's going to be on there. James and I were talking about it, and we decided that one of the best people should buy two. We didn't ask two. Yeah, that way you could have one for each room. No, that's ridiculous. Yeah. For each room. I would even think maybe you could buy three. I heard my friend was going to give me a downloaded copy. Your friend's going to give you a downloaded copy? Is that cool? Don't tell him that. Yeah, sure. That's great. Just know that I'll be suing you. Oh, wow. You have so much money. Having you thrown in jail. I think the people that do that should be executed. Wow. Wow, Lars, I heard that in the new Guitar Hero Metallica, it'll have like your signature moves, like when you pop up behind the drum kit. You heard wrong. But that's what RollingStone.com said. Yeah, well, Rolling Stone says a lot of things. Let me tell you something. The next time I'm popping up out of one of those stupid things, you can punch me right in the face. Oh, I'd love to. I'd do that. I would love to. Let me tell you something, Sky. Okay. If you earn enough points, you can take a shot of Belvedere vodka. Oh, I'm in on that.
Well, that sounds accurate then. Rolling Stone basically gives a description of it, but doesn't really say if you're going to love it. Yeah, and you don't even get to play as the characters of Metallica until you start as their opening band. And once you're good enough as their opening band, then you actually get to play as members of Metallica. So it's kind of a challenge to even get to that point. But I guess for, you know, the people who are really into it, that'll be a cool payoff once you get there. Sean's not on the show anymore, so I don't know if anyone else on the show listens or watches Lipstick Jungle. Never heard of that. But apparently the stage manager for that show was arrested. For what, Sky? for stealing the wardrobe. It's kind of like Sex and the City in the way that it's known for all its flashy, hip fashion. And so I guess one of the stage managers was taking some of the clothes out of wardrobe and then selling them. And a French designer who gave some of their stuff to the show to be used in the show saw some of these one-of-a-kind designs popping up for sale on eBay.
So the police got involved and did undercover sting and arrested this guy and said he had about 30 grand worth of stuff. Stage manager for the show for Lipstick Jungle. What is your problem, stage manager? I love the clothes. Yeah, well, I designed them. You cannot just steal them. Well, I thought they were mine. You did not think they were yours. They have my name on them. Dress fits. What am I supposed to do? If the dress fits, steal it. Yes, that's my motto. That's your motto? Why are you wearing lipstick? Because it's a jungle out there. It happens. Miss Indiana got crowned Miss America. And this is a crazy story. One of the actors on CSI stopped a robber on the subway. Yeah, dude, this guy is, you know, I don't recommend people doing this, but this guy's on the subway. Was it Grissom? No. He was not. He plays Bobby Dawson. Who's Bobby Dawson? I don't watch the show. I don't watch the show. I don't know. Is this a regular CSI? Yeah, CSI, Crime Scene Investigation. Yeah. So he, I guess, had just gotten in from the airport, and he was on the subway at about 2 o'clock in the morning when some guy came up to him and tried to take his laptop.
Crazy. And he's like, I'm not giving it up. And I guess this guy, he's an experienced boxer. Yeah. And so he decided. Put up your dudes. Yeah. Yeah. That's a sound clip from the subway. Put them up. I'll box your ears. He's Irish. Wow. And so they kind of start to scuffle. And everybody else who's on that one car starts to take off and go to the other subway cars. Like, get the heck out of there. Right. And so the robber dude pulls out a knife. And he says it was probably about a 10-inch blade. Really? Yeah. And he said he wasn't going to back down. And then at that point, I guess they were at like the stop. And so the security there saw and halted the train and got the police on there. No way. Dude, that's scary. That is scary. Give him your laptop. Maybe he thought he was still in an episode of CSI. Dude, seriously. Maybe he was auditioning. Never know. Maybe. Could be. Let's see. I got the best stuff out there. There's nothing that's any good.
Oh, I thought it was funny. Michelle Obama's being accused of not supporting the black community because of her wardrobe. What? That's nice. I'm sorry. What? Yeah, well, so when the actual inauguration happened, she was wearing a dress. Fabulous. Designed by a Cuban-American designer. Was it fabulous? Oh, she looked great. Oh, it's beautiful. All gold. She just sparkled. Oh, it is. Fabulous. And then that white gown that she wore to the inauguration balls was made by a Taiwanese. Does she have to always do that? I mean, she's so pretty. Well, no, there were multiple balls. There were like 10 of them. Wow. It was a gorgeous white dress. Hey, Howard, do me a favor, will you? And I guess that dress was made by some guy, a designer from Taiwan. And so I guess this group, the Black Artists Association. That's my favorite one, by the way. They released a statement saying, it's fine and good if you want to be all kumbaya and we are the world by representing all different countries, but why not have any other black designers do something too? Oh, here we go. Come on. Here we go.
Enough already. Did you guys hear about the guy in La Mesa that went on a chase in a stolen dump truck? Sorry. Yeah, this is really crazy. So I guess this guy was a parolee, and someone called 911 saying, hey, this guy just stole my dump truck, and I'm chasing him. So come, like, help me. Come get this guy. And so the police chased him, and I guess he was kind of smashing into stuff. Yeah, CHP officer Brian Pennings describes a little bit of what happened. Oh, wait, that was a neat thing. We're working out the kinks with the audio, okay? So let's all just call. Now, who are we hearing again? This is the CHP officer talking about what happened. All right. He reached speed to 70 miles an hour at some locations, and there was one location where he actually did intentionally run three cars off the roadway. Oh, boy. Unfortunately, there was no damage to those cars, and nobody was injured. And the deputy wasn't injured. That was in the patrol car either when it was rammed.
Wow. Yeah, so he was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen car, evading arrest, assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon, driving on a suspended license, and violating his parole. That's it? Yeah. Just a few little things, yeah. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. And you can give us a call. Beginning and end of every show. We end and we open with open phones. So you can call in about anything you want to call in about. 570-1053 is the number. And we hit everything. Oh, in Japan, workers at Canon get to go home early to make babies. What? Yeah. What? I guess their birth rate in Japan is at... 1.34%, which is below the 2% needed to maintain their population. And so they're not having that. I thought that they were big time. That's probably the problem. I know they were big time on like... Restrictions. Yeah. But now it's probably gotten to the point where they're like, uh-oh. Yeah.
And so they said they think part of the problem is people in Japan work 12-hour work days are very common. So it doesn't leave much time to get home and, you know, spend some time doing a little something, something. So Canon is letting their employees leave early twice a week to encourage them to go home and have more babies. Really? Yeah. Yeah, right. They're going home watching The Simpsons. That's true. You know they are. They love that show. 570-1053 is the number. It's open phones. You can call about whatever you want. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. It's P1 Knuckles. How's it going? What's up, dude? Hey, man. I got a question for the Oracle. Yeah. Hey, I haven't, ever since the Chargers have been out of the playoffs, I haven't been paying attention to sports, not been watching any football. What is going on with the Chargers right now? What's up with LT and Sean Merriman and A.J. Smith? It seems like A.J. Smith is just making a big mistake and talking about trade talks, even about LT. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Can you fill me in on some of this? Well, I mean, you know about as much as what's going on. I mean, there's been back and forth in the media a little bit with what's being said, what's not being said. And basically where they're at right now is that A.J. Smith says that he's going to look at the entire roster, review the entire team.
and try and figure out, you know, who's expendable. And, you know, that includes looking at LT. Now, they haven't said one way or the other, you know, if he's going to stay or if they're going to try and trade him. So, it's kind of in limbo right now. It kind of sucks. Man, I think it's a huge mistake if AJ makes that decision. I agree. And one more thing. B-Rob, you got to make that song. Oh, yeah. You got to make that song, man. We'll be done. Let's speak. My back is on fire. For sure. Thanks, guys. Thank you. Calm down. P1JMac. Shush. What's up? Hey, I just want to tell Eddie that, you know, he's talking about shopping in the Milky section earlier. Right. Well, for the listeners that don't know what that's about, Eddie was over at Babies R Us, right? Right. Registering because him and his wife were going to be having a baby, and they were going through registering, and Eddie was in the section where everything was about breastfeeding. Well, it's like the newborn section. I don't know any of that stuff. He was like, what is this stuff? Go ahead. Yeah, well, dude, Eddie, don't worry about it. I mean, all you have to do is buy a side of rice and you'll be cool. That's true, Eddie. If you have an aversion to it. Let me write this down. I mean, all of that just to get to that. Rice. Good to know. Thank you. Will help. Okay. Thank you. Have a good one, guys. Thank you. You have a good one. P1 Ponce, what's up? Hey, how's it going, guys? Good, man. Hey, Eddie. Yeah. My baby is 16 months old.
And I had the weakest stomach known to man before she was born. And about six months ago, she got really sick stomach virus and was projectile vomiting all over the house. Awesome. Cleaned it up like a champ. There's something that will just be born. Okay, good. Baby's born and you'll be able to do it. That's good to know. It will. Yeah, you're very desensitized. Yeah, you do, Eddie. When I got Sammy, a little bit over a year ago. That's so offensive. Before that, if I saw vomit, I would vomit. You know, it was a chain reaction. And now, it's like when Sammy pukes, it's like I don't even care. That's your baby. Sometimes she'll just look at Sammy and she'll be like, oh. It's just a mother's reaction. You don't care. Yep. It's true. P1 Liz Lice is on the line. How's it going? Good. How you doing, Liz Lice? Really good. Listen, I started a mobile service about six years ago. Now that you have a kid, I wanted you to know about this. All the schools in San Diego are having head lice outbreaks. Really? And I am the only mobile head lice removal service in San Diego. Oh, good. I didn't know that there was a head lice outbreak in San Diego. Yes.
Well, isn't there always issues with lice? Like, at schools, I mean. I'm the only mobile lice dealer in San Diego. Oh, you deal lice. What do you mean? Yeah, what does that mean? I drive around. It's like the chicken pox. You've got to get it once. No, no, no, it's not. It's not like that. You just go to bostonrob.edu. It's completely 100% different. Let's see. Let's do the last call. P1 Rude Dog is on the line. What's up, Rude Dog? Hey, how's it going? Mikey Show. Good. Hey, I wanted to ask Eddie, hey, what do you think about the undercard in the fight this weekend between Thiago Alves and Leota Machida? That's going to be a great fight. A couple of undefeated fighters going at it for the BJ Penn GSP UFC card. That's going to be a great fight. Looking forward to Clay Guida versus Nate Diaz, too. That's going to be huge. Yeah, that's another big one. Yeah, good, good, good card this weekend. Guida! Hey, thanks a lot, guys. We appreciate it. Lovely and talented Missy is up next today on the Nooner. She's got double shots. It's going to be awesome. Make sure you're listening to two in a row from Missy. We'll come back here tomorrow morning at 5.30 and do it all over again. The Mikey Show is out.
