to be back in the land of the living. And if my voice sounds a little jacked up, it's only because, you know, I'm coming off of the crud. Everybody at my house had the crud. And I'm Mikey, by the way. If you're new listening to the show, five people on the Mikey show. And it's me, Eddie, Sky, Ashley, Rob. In case you're wondering who's on the program. Yeah, we're octuplets. We are octuplets. Yes, we are. We are octuplets. But there's only... What's up? I don't know. That's right. I don't know math. Don't judge me. I'm the one that gets left out of the octuplets. Like, I don't get the nipple. You know, I don't get the milk. Oh, wow. Well, you're the runt. I'm the scrawny runt. But you're on my nipple, which is weird. This is weird. That's why I'm so scrawny. You know? Okay. Chest hair. No, it's actually really hot, so I'm like... Yeah. So, anyway, welcome to the show. We have some of your old favorites back, by the way. Oh, shoot. That's right. Oh, mama. Oh, mama. We do have some of these back. Oh, mama. Oh, mama. That's right. That's ridiculous. Awesome. So, welcome, everybody. Hey. 606, for those of you that are keeping track at home.
We're going to be doing things a little bit different. We're going to just, you know, we were talking about it. We're just going to get right into the show now. Instead of going through this whole thing. You know, I'll tell you who's on the show coming out like I just did. But let's just get into it, man. Let's just start talking about the hot topics of the day. Oh, hot topics. Oh, it's so hot. That's right. Monday night, Rebecca was, well, first of all, all day Monday, Rebecca was throwing up. She was super sick. And finally, she was throwing up so much, she couldn't stop throwing up. So I call her doctor. Her doctor calls in a prescription for something that'll make her stop throwing up. Give her that. But the thing is, is that I think that we throw up for a reason. You know, like our bodies are designed to throw up for a reason. And so when we don't, like all that stuff that the body wants to get out is just hanging out in there. Making us sick. Like all that food. All that food. Get it out of there. Get it out of there. You eat a lot, is what I think we're all trying to say. You're a pig. So rude. Anyway, so we, and then she starts having real bad pain in her stomach. So we got to take her to the ER. This is Monday night. We got to take her to the ER.
And when we were done there, come back home and she finally gets some, you know, she's finally able to get some sleep. And I don't know. It was just a really tough, tough night. And it wasn't. It wasn't fun at all. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. It was not. It doesn't. There was no part of it that was. So we came home and then all the next day, which was Tuesday, she was sick. And then I was sick. Jake's had a cough. So it's just been sick around the place. Oh, shoot. It was not good. The whole time it was just brutal. But is everybody better now? She's... Still feeling sick, but way better than she was. She's still got lingering stuff, and I'm fine. I just got some lingering stuff, and I'm on meds to kill it. You know what I mean? We're getting better. There was an earthquake this morning off the coast of La Jolla. Who felt it? First of all, who dealt it? First question you have to ask is, he who dealt it felt it.
I think that's how it goes. That's the old Hackney phrase. I did smelt it. You did smelt it? Yeah. You know what that means. That's pretty gross. Okay. Well, yeah, it happened about a quarter to one this morning, early morning. Yeah, right. I was fast asleep, homeboy. Yeah, I feel like that. Well, and I was in the Nido, so please, I'm not going to feel it. And it was off the coast, so in the ocean? Yes. Yeah. 57. Get pitted. So pitted. 57 miles west of La Jolla in the ocean of 4.2. Can you feel that? In the deep black ocean. Well, I know when there's earthquakes up in Riverside and stuff, people here in San Diego feel them, so I would think so. Really? I think some of the coastal people. Some good waves today, though, huh? Yeah. Pitted. That's right. Get pitted. So pitted. Sweet. Yeah, but luckily, you know, no reports of damage or injury or anything like that. Do you really think that that will make people want to go surf because there was an earthquake out there? Right? That's what makes the big waves? Dude, you get the best barrels ever. Oh, well then. Yeah, there it is. I'm going out there. Hit them.
I don't know about that. Hit them. P1 Quimby is screening our phone calls for us. She also works for the radio station as a board operator. So she's screening phone calls. 570-1053 is the phone number. So give us a call and let's talk smack. No, not smack. Smack talk. Is that not the deal? Well, I don't want to. It's not smack talk. Just call us. I want to be friends. 570-1053. And let's talk. Our text number, 35253. We've got that for two more days. So we got that going for us, right? Milk it, milk it. Yeah, call in right now. Use that sucker. So were you guys getting a lot of the emails of P1s thinking that we had been fired? No. Oh, dude, it was so brutal. Yeah, they were freaking out. Because, you know, last week, Sean and Zeph from the show were let go, and we've been talking about budget cuts, and the economy's horrible, and then we're off for two days in a row. Yeah. And, oh, yeah, people are freaking. They're like, I don't wish any ill upon you, but please tell me you guys are really, really sick right now. Yeah. I was telling people we got fired. Okay. That's not cool. Yeah. Just for funsies? It's a terrible thing. 570-1053. We were not fired. Oh, really? Really, we were not. Really?
We were not. 5701053, if you want to talk about any of this stuff, talk about anything you want to. How about this mail delivery deal? Dude, this can't be right. I'm going to punch my microphone. Calm down, Rob. I really do want to get to the bottom of Rob's psychology because here's the story. Mail delivery might be cut. Right, Sky? Yeah, maybe cut down one day to five days a week. Why? So no Saturday mail? It doesn't specifically say here and what I've read, but that would be my assumption, that it would just be during the weekdays only to try and save money. I guess the post office has a $2.8 billion deficit. How does that happen? I know. They keep raising stamps every week. Well, I guess a lot of people are paying their bills over the worldwide webbage. And so, you know, that's basically taking a huge chunk out of their business. See, I am trying to keep them in business. I use the mail. I don't use the worldwide web. You don't use the mail, though. You go in and pay your bills. That's right. But I go to the post office. No.
I mail some stuff. I can't go to all my bill places. Well, of course not. That would be ridiculous, Eddie. I keep stamps right in my car, man. I don't like going to the post office, but I'll go there basically once or twice a month. You would think he would not want mail to come, meaning that more bills would come. Yeah. Right. That's what you would think. We need the mail. Why? This is bad, man, because since the beginning of our economy... The mail has come six days a week. Through rain, snow, sleet, whatever that saying is. And now... What is he talking about? I don't know, but he's a big fan of the mail. I'm trying to understand why it's a big deal. Because this is like, I don't know, for me, that's a big sign that if, you know, they're going to cut mail, then our economy is... That means it must really be bad. Yeah, if it's affecting the mail... But it is really bad. Yeah, but this is like, this is no good. I don't use the mail. Let's be honest. Do we really use the mail? I do. And I do that thing. She does the correspondence. Well, I'm in charge of correspondence in my family. And that's what I do. Yes. And like take this month, for example. You may be laid off. Yes, guy. It may get to a point where you're laid off at home. Shut up. My husband's going to lay me off of correspondence. That's right. So like this month. It's like I don't have any work for you. Shut up. You got to go home.
So you know how we get paid on the last day of the month? Well, the last day of the month, this month, falls on Saturday. So we're going to get our paychecks on Friday. So Friday when I get home, I'm going to pay a whole bunch of bills, and I'm going to put them out in the mail on Saturday. Now, some of those bills are due, like, on Tuesday. So if I didn't have that Saturday mail, my bills would be late. All you do is readjust a little, right? I mean, just a tiny bit. But I don't want to pay the bills until the money's in the account. Well, you get paid. At midnight on Friday. So you have all day Friday to write your bills out. Why? Well, so I have to do a foot race with the mailman. How about this? Yeah. How about this? How about if you had online bill pay and then you can pay it immediately electronically? And then what? We just eliminate the post office? Yeah, you're just adding to the problem. Yeah. No. I got to have catalogs. Yes. Right? There's so many things that come to me. Well, I don't need it on Saturday. I'm all right. What about the penny saver? Rob just gave a look like, hello? That's his big concern. Like, hello? What? I don't think I've ever looked at the penny saver. Oh, dude. I will come over. Can I get articles in there? Yeah, a lot of good stuff. Yeah, Rob reads it for the articles. The articles about buy one, get one. 570-1053. P1 Tim, you there? Yes. Go ahead. Hi, I'm Tim from Ocean Beach. The reason the post office...
is losing money is because in the Postal Reorganization Act of 2006, the Postal Service became the only federal agency that had to pay their employees' retirement health care. No other government agency is required to do so, and that's costing the Postal Office $5 billion a year to prepay on people who are yet retired on their retirement health care. And that's costing the post office approximately $5 billion a year. Therefore, that is the problem. And there's a bill, actually, in the House, H.R. 22. You are smart. You know stuff. You know stuff, dude. Sounds like you know stuff. Hey, but, you know, still, you can't discount this thing that nobody's using stamps anymore. Well, very few people. That is correct, but that was the job of the Postal Reorganization Act, was so that the post office could compete head-to-head with their competitors. Previously to the Postal Reorganization Act. Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, hang on. Just call it PRAW. Yeah, PRAW. Let me ask you something. Yeah. If the post office identifies the fact that we're paying our bills online now as a people, and they realize they're losing a bunch of dough because people aren't buying stamps,
What did that postal reorganization deal do to address that and make them more competitive? Here's what it does. Previously to the Act, if you were somebody like Qualcomm or Sony and you wanted to put your overnight delivery services up for bid, the postal service could not charge anything less than what they charge to a customer coming up to the window at the post office. Well, since the Postal Reorganization Act, the postal service can competitively bid. against FedEx and UPS. No, no, no, no. You're still... But let me re-ask this. I'm talking about average Joe who wants to pay their bills over the Internet, which a lot of us do. We pay our bills over the Internet, thus we're not paying for postage anymore. That's got to be... Well, actually, there's nothing the post office can do to stop...
Right, and so I'm guessing the post office, like Sky said, the post office is losing a lot of money that way. Well, but that's not the crux of the problem. Maybe it isn't, but it's got to be a part of it, that's for sure, because it's got to account for millions and millions of dollars in postage, millions of dollars. That is correct, yes, but they're raising rates in other areas to try to offset that. I'll say. Which just kind of drives people more to want to do it the other way. They're like, stamps are going up again. Great. Actually, we have the cheapest, most efficient postal service in the world. Really? That I did not know. It's the way you look at the thing, I guess. That's true. Hey, thanks for the call. I appreciate it. SP1 Tim. You know, all I really look forward to in that mail is magazines. Other than magazines, bills and all that stuff, you get it online. Like, what do we get in the mail? I'm not getting letters, you know? Christmas time, we get cards. Christmas cards. But, I mean, what do we get in the mail? Like, I don't get a letter from my brother from the state of Arizona saying, greetings from Tucson. Yeah. I get letters from friends at jail because they can't get on the web. You do not. There's the market. Do you really? Yeah. Do you? You get every once in a while? Maybe that's the deal then.
By all means, then, let's keep it for the prisons. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because you need to get letters from your prisoner friends. What's wrong with that? Nothing. There's nothing wrong with it. I don't know that everybody has that issue, but some people. Don't you think in the future, mail will be obsolete? No. Yes. Everything will be electronic. Everything will be electronic. Eventually, the prisoners will be sending you email. I dread that day. You do? Yeah. Why? I like the mail. But you can't really tell us why. I'm interested in one. I just like checking my mailbox. I like going and getting mail. I like receiving letters when I do. I like paying stuff with the mail. I'll tell you this. I don't want my magazines in e-form. I feel more comfortable sending a bill like, you know, cashier's check, putting that bill in the mail than... Some website where, you know, before I log on, it goes, you're about to visit a secure connection. Hopefully no one hacks it. You know, like I just feel more comfortable. Well, first of all, it does not say the word hopefully. It doesn't. Yeah, it does. On mine it does. It does not. No. I know it does not. You've got to read that carefully. You're going to get your magazines in a giant tube.
I don't want it. Yeah, it'll come in a tube. Like at the bank? Yeah, and you open it up, there's your magazine. It comes straight from the place that they make it. That's weird. We'll all have tubes. Scoops and tubes. I'm in on that. That's what I'm saying. I'm in on that. Let's have it. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253, in case you want to text us. 35253. Thank you. His voice is already deeper. That's my kid. It's already deeper than that. He's, you know, maturing. Mm-hmm. Mikey, I need mail for Netflix. Oh, fair. That's a legitimate point. That's a great point because I just got that. Oh, really? Like, that's not all going to be electronic? Well, they did just come out with a TV. Like, I think it was LG. Do you remember? Is it LG? They just came out with television? No, Adora. I've been around. I've had TV for a while. P1 Autumn. Hey, I just wanted to say that.
Mail is good because we've got troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and some of them don't have internet connections. That's good. They will eventually. They will eventually. The war is over. That's right. And I think that's a good reason for it. I mean, I guess there's reason for us to have the mail, no doubt about it. Yeah. It's just, you know, we can do a lot of that stuff. We don't need the mail for it. Well, in regards to Netflix, LG, I think it's LG, just came out with a TV that has partnered with Netflix, where, like, Netflix is basically built into the TV. So if you buy this TV, you have Netflix, and you just select from the menu, and you pick whatever movie you want. Of course. Who wouldn't want that? I would much rather do that than wait for my disc to come every week. I hate the mail. And have to mail it back. Yeah. I like going to Blockbuster. Males Lane. Oh, it's so much work. Why do you? I don't know. I enjoy going out and picking out my own movie and walking around. This is the difficult one. It's got to be difficult. Everything. And it's what keeps us back because there's still people. He's holding us back. Yeah, he's like 90 years old. Man, when that system crashes, you guys are going to come running to me. Take us to Blockbuster.
Will you drive us? I don't know. Movies. Rob, we need to borrow a stamp. The Great Crash of 010 happens. I'm telling you, man. You don't want to just go through your TV and pick any movie you want? I have that with my On Demand. Then, right. I don't do that. Why? I don't want to. How come? I like going out. I like going to Blockbuster. Society has become so lazy, I just want to sit there. Okay, now you've got to tell me. I want to press a button and it comes to me. I'm fair. I like to go out, dude. I think this is fair. I think this is fair. But you've got to tell me, are you going to Blockbuster honestly because you really do enjoy the physical exercise? Like, is that why? I'm not getting exercise, dude. You really do like the... I would walk around my block with my dogs like I've been doing to get my exercise. To go to Blockbuster, I enjoy just... going outside of my house and it's like something to do. You do. You actually enjoy the adventure. You enjoy the experience. Yeah. Okay. Fair enough. If you do, you do. It's like you still go out to the movies on the weekends, right, Eddie? I'd rather not. Only because you still want. I hate the experience. You said the other week, though. You're crazy, dude. No, no, no. I hate the experience. He said he didn't like it. I hate the experience. He said he didn't like it, but you keep going, dude. Because I want to see the movie, dude. If I can get it at my house, I would never go to the movies.
Ever. I'm going to search and pull that tape where he said he loves the popcorn. No, no, no. Rob, he did. He said he loves the experience of, he loves going to the movie, the big screen, the sound, the way that it's. What he hates, though, is the experience of the people there. The people there. All right. The phones, the text messages. But besides that, you like going out and you like doing that. I would never go to the movies if I can get those movies at home. Because people ruin the movies for real. All right. Dude, if I can watch The Wrestler at home, please. You like the people? Dude, crazy people are fun to me. I like watching them. They ruin the movies for you? Well, I don't go to the movies. I'm not a crazy person. And I'm also not like Larry King around here, all right? Like I can afford the movie. Thank you, Mike. Please. Someone had to say it. My gosh. Oh, wow. 570. Male people, I'm fighting for you. That's right. I'm the only one. P1 Word Herd. Hey, what's going on, guys? What's up? I think one thing to think about with the mail is that small businesses probably really struggle without the mail. Oh, man. How come? Well, because small businesses do a lot of advertisement through the mail. They also do a lot of their accounts payable and accounts receivable. But doesn't it make more sense that they should be doing their advertisement electronically? That's where we all are.
There are certain advertisements that, yeah, you definitely do electronically, but there are other ones that are more personal forms of advertisements, such as, you know, sending out letters and stuff like that, that are more personal. Hey, listen, maybe you're different than me, word heard. You may be different than me, but when I get stuff in the mail, toss, I make two piles. Stuff to read, stuff for the trash. No, wait, dude. You mean recycle. Absolutely. You mean stuff for the trash can. I mean, yes, things that I recycle to keep the planet green. Thank you, Mike. That's my pile. Thank you. Things to recycle to keep the planet green. Don't stop it. Thank you. And stuff to read. And, I mean, come on. Oh, don't say that. I do. Right in the garbage. You're lying. I'm not lying. Recycle them to me. Please. I recycle a lot. I don't recycle them, though. I'm with you on that. You just lied to me. So much wasted paper. What's that word heard? I'm with you on that for personal stuff. Business is a little different dynamic. You know what I mean? Times are changing, man. Times are changing. The times. They are changing. Very folksy. Yeah, they are changing. That is not a real song. That song is not a real song. Wow. Thank you, word heard. I think I want to get rid of mail.
Stop it. You don't want to get rid of that. I think I do. You're going crazy now. I think I do. Well, P1, Mike wants to argue with you. Who is American, dude? How can you want to get rid of that? Don't eat it. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Where did you go? Hey, P1, yup. We're going to talk to P1, yup. You there? How you doing? You say prison does use email. Yeah, so they're coming on. You could send it and receive it when you're in there. You won't have to use regular. There you go. Rob, write that down. My boys don't get access to email. Hey, P1 Scooby has a great point. Hey, Scooby, you there? Yeah, what's up, Glenn? You got a good point, dude. Go ahead. What about all the stuff you guys buy on the Internet and stuff, and then you have to pay for postage? Thank you. Postage. Where does that money go to when you pay for the postage? Great question. Well, the money, I know the answer to that. Yeah. The answer to that is that they have to pay for the postage to send it to you. So when you pay $1.50 for postage, what you're paying for is for that package to be sent to you. Yeah, but they normally don't use the mail. They use, you know, UPS or FedEx. But they got to pay for that. Well, yeah, but that doesn't help our mail situation. Yeah, get rid of it. That's a separate company. By the way, that P1 that I called earlier, Tim. Yeah. That's my brother-in-law. Oh, really? Right on, brother. He's super smart. Thank you.
5701053. Our text number is 35253. Mikey, please wish my fiance and I good luck. We're getting married Saturday. Love your show. P1 Vet Tech. Nice. Sweet. I hope you enjoy. Hope it's a sunny day and it isn't raining all over you. Should be good. Let's see. I know the weather. This guy says it's good. Don't worry about it. She's a weather tech. The weather girl. Yeah, we got a little Santa Ana's moving in, but we're fine. Okay. Everything's fine. It'll be dry. It'll be a little warm. A little warm and dry. A little windy. 570-1053 is the phone number. You want to give us a call? But don't hold me to that. Okay. Just saying. It's what I heard. Where did you hear it? Through the people. Yeah. They told you? They.com. They.com. Over at they.com. Obviously. 570-1053 is the phone number. I can't believe the Super Bowl is only a few days away. Oh, it is? Yeah, I know it. It really is. Let's see. So the peanut recall has been, they're like, it's even more far-reaching now.
Yeah, so, you know, it all started with this peanut butter made by Peanut Butter Corporation of America, and they had a recall on their peanut butter, which is like, it's not any name brand stuff that we buy. We're not talking Jiffy. We're not talking Skip. We're not talking any of that kind of stuff. Skip? Yeah, Skip. What's it called? Skip. Ah, Skip. Skip-o. That's my favorite brand. It smells like horse. No, it doesn't. It smells like peanuts. Well, basically, they have pushed back. There's a horse in it, though. No, there's not. That's why they're recalling it. It doesn't. But this Peanut Butter Corporation of America, what they do do is they sell their peanut butter to a lot of companies that make little snack crackers with it and the little dipping snack packs and stuff like that. So we talked about that last week about those recalls. Well, now they've taken the... date, the plant date, you know, when they put it in the jar at the plant, they've extended that date going all the way back to January 1st of 2007. Wow. So any peanut butter made from that plant from January of 2007. So two years ago. Yeah. That's what they recalled? Okay, they said that that's when it was from. Are they recalling everything from if you have? Yeah.
Who has peanut butter from January 1st, 2007? I probably have it from 2004. And who knows the date it actually hits the shelf and then you buy it and by the time you get it home, it's not like overnight. Yeah, but it doesn't take two years. You don't know. Maybe they sent it through the mail. Go find me something at a store that's dated January 1st, 2007. Yeah, they're not. I'll pay you a lot of money. That's not why they're saying it. They're saying it in case you go through your cabinet at home. Like this weekend, I pulled some Crisco out of my cabinet that expired in October of 2006. Yeah, I just cleaned out my cupboard and found like cans from 2000. And for those people, he did not. It's still good. Throw it out. Gross. But anyway, if you want all the details on everything that's being recalled with this peanut butter salmonella, you can go to the FDA's website, which is FDA.com. There it is. You hear about these octuplets, man? First of all, how many in an octuplet? It's 12. It's so crazy. We got P1 trivia today because we were going to do it Monday. I said, no, let's do it tomorrow, then ended up getting sick. So we'll do some P1 trivia so somebody can come in the studio tomorrow. You Got Robbed will be on today.
We got so much great stuff. Don't forget our blogs are at MikeyShow.com. And Yibbity Yabbity You. And don't forget Bababababababoo. And we're going to do this thing. When we come back, we're going to tell you this thing about the octuplets. I like to play blackjack. I'm not addicted to gambling. I'm addicted to sitting in a semi-circle. My friend is a blackjack dealer. And on his forearm, he has a tattoo of an ace and a jack. You see, I'm a blackjack player. On my forearm, I'm going to get a tattoo of a 10 and a 2. And then maybe later, a king. It's the Mikey Show. We can be under attack. We can be slaves or we can... Now playing in theaters everywhere. For more info, go to entertheunderworld.com. You will find a backup, maybe a slight backup left over here in the South 5 as you get onto Coronado Bridge. There was an earlier accident there that really backed things up, so watch for some leftover brake lights. It's pretty much out of the way. South 15, you've got that usual slowdown developing out of Escondido right now off the 78th and down the Via Rancho Parkway. Other than that, East County South Bay Rides moving right along the border weight, though, up to two hours getting into the U.S. at San Ysidro. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Sanjaya. What's going on, Mikey? What's going on, dude? You went to sleep train? I went out to sleep train and bought myself a mattress finally. When did you do it? I went this Sunday, actually. Cool. What did you get? Yeah, I got a beauty rest, a comfort classic. Did they deliver it Sunday, Monday, or when? Sunday when I told them to because I was moving that day. Really? It worked out perfect. That's pretty awesome. Yeah.
Did they take your, well, wait a minute. If you were moving, did they have to take your set or did you get rid of it yourself? No, I got rid of it myself. So they bring the new one in. Did they set it up for you? They set it up for me within like five minutes. And how did it feel that first night? Just like being in heaven. That's awesome, man. That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, I tell people about Sleepton. Did they give you a good price? Oh, yeah, dude. I went in there after the promotion about getting everything for free. And the dude's still doing everything for free. And after I told him that Mikey sent me personally, he knocked off 700 bucks. That's awesome. Yeah. All right, brother. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, dude. Talk to you later, man. Sleep change your ticket to a better night's sleep. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I got a two-year-old son. I have a wife named Rebecca. Eddie. Daddy had some drinks. That's right. Sky. You know, because I don't buy dessert because I shouldn't eat dessert. Boston Rob. I'm a romantic. I can't help that. And Ashley. Wake up. Take up. I just want to take up. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. 5.3. Octuplets, man. That is, Eddie says 12. I don't think that's right, though. I think it's 16. No. Octuplets is 16. No, guys. It's actually eight babies.
Eight kids? Oh. 639. Eight kids? It's the second live birth of octuplets in America ever. So are they real little? Like are they tiny? Like a pound or something? Yeah. Yeah. Let's see. They were born weighing one pound, eight ounces. The smallest one was one pound, eight ounces. And the biggest one was three pounds, four ounces. That was the fat one. Yeah. But the crazy thing is they thought she only had seven babies in her. So when they went to do this C-section to take the babies out, they planned on lettering the babies. Like, okay, baby A, here we go. Baby B, you know. And so they only were planning on baby G as the last one. And they're like, wait, we got baby H in here. And they found an eighth baby hiding in there that they didn't see on any of the sonograms. It just came flopping out of there. Yeah.
So the babies are actually doing really well, very healthy. It's like a giant Hot Pocket. It is. It is like a giant Hot Pocket. I don't see the comparison. Yeah, she's the Hot Pocket. She's the outer crust. And the babies are like meatball or like ham or whatever. Pick your flavor. Sweet, luscious, ham. They're babies. They're not Hot Pockets. It's kind of weird when you think about it. Let's say they got... Four girls, four boys. Yeah, they got six boys, two girls. Okay, how are they going to know who's who? Once they name them, how do they know? They got to put little bracelets on them. Constantly, right? Yeah. It just stays on them. Just write your name on their head. No, I don't suggest that. Do they keep the bracelets on there literally as long? Until the point that they're sure and they know that they have it memorized in their head. Probably. Creepy, weird, crazy. Well, I had a friend who had identical twin girls, and that's what they told them. You know, have little bracelets on them until you guys are comfortable enough that you are guaranteed you know which one is which. Wow. Yeah. That is crazy. Yeah. We're getting lots of text messages. 35253 is our text number. It's all about the mail.
Which, by the way, people are blowing the phones up with. Nice. Talking about the mail. P1 Mike Kicks, you there? Hey, dude, you there? Dude. Dude. Dude. P1 Carlsbad. Carlsbad. Dude. We got to have eight. Quimby. Quim. Hey, Quim. Make sure you're going through all of them to see if they're still there. Because a bunch of them are hanging up. P1 Sean, you there? Too soon? Too soon, Mike. Too soon. P1 Greek Squad? Okay, this just... Nobody's there anymore. It didn't work out, Mike. I'll figure it out. P1 Mrs. Sean's Laugh says, without the mail, how will Rob get his razor samples and shampoo samples so that he can groom? That's a good point. This is a great point. Do you get a bunch of those in the mail? No, I don't, but if...
Anyone knows how you get those, yeah, send them to me. Love them. P1PB&J wrote in and said, I drank a five-year-old Diet Coke by mistake from my ex-roommate. What are you doing with that? I don't know, but do you think it tasted different or weird? No, it doesn't. What happened to it? It doesn't, and it can't. Gross. I guess that one's gross. That can't be right. Wow. It never goes bad. Because my friend used to work for a Coca-Cola Classic company. Yeah. And she would hook us up with, like, all the different Coke products. And so I hung on to, like, a whole case of, like, Coke product. And I didn't end up using it for, like, three years. I finally decided to pop one open, and it was, like, uber flat. Really? Mm-hmm. It tasted gross. Gross. But it didn't hurt you, right? No, it just tasted blech. Huh. Okay. Eddie, can you post your recipe for tortillas on the website? My grandma used to make them and they were lovers. Total lovers. It's P1 Visible Trench. Look for the P1 cookbook. That's right. Mikey, what kind of dope gets married the day before the Super Bowl? That's P1 Smokey. That's an interesting one. Why is that bad? Because the next day... You can't watch a Super Bowl. Are you off to your honeymoon and stuff?
Like, that'd be kind of weird. I do not want to miss the Super Bowl. No, never. Never. You think that was just they didn't think about it when they planned it? Maybe the wife picked the date. Yeah. She didn't realize. Maybe at the last minute, maybe they can just tell everybody, hey, come back next weekend. And they'll just skip it. Yeah. And wait until they show up at the door and go, hey, we're going to do this next week. Mm-hmm. Welcome to our Super Bowl party. That's right. Yay. Yay. Let's see. This one says, hey, man. No, we said, yeah. All right. I said yay. She's been drinking. Hey, Mikey, my mail lady told me that the penny saver's going out of business, I swear. Have a good day. I don't know if that's true. I don't know if that's true. Are you okay? I don't know if I'm going to be okay. You know how much money I've saved with that thing? Not very much. No, well, pennies. Pennies upon pennies. No, you get like, they got great discounts. Literally tens of pennies have been saved. Okay. You know what I mean? Listen, man. Let's see. That thing is awesome.
Jeez, Rob, come out of your cave, join the rest of us in the 21st century, and drop the rock and pick up a mouse. That's P1 Anonymous. Eddie, how can Ashley say that you waste paper by throwing out junk mail when she goes through a roll of toilet paper a day? Oh, interesting. If I could recycle my toilet paper, I would. Well, you could buy recycled toilet paper. No, that would hurt. Yeah, that's inconvenient. It's not as dainty on my bottom. It's fine. I use it. You use recycled toilet paper? Yeah. I'd be all in on that. Where do you buy it? I want a store. I want cushion for my tushion. I've never seen recycled toilet paper. I've seen recycled paper towels. Let me tell you about recycled toilet paper. It's like looking at parchment paper. It's so thin. Right, Skye? It is not. No, it's fine. It's like normal toilet paper. It is. It's not like Chevron toilet paper when you stop at the gas station to go to the bathroom. It's not like that. It's not white. You use Chevron toilet paper? Dude, when you got to, you got to. I guess so, man.
Plus, remember when I was afraid to go to the bathroom with my wife in the house? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I was embarrassed. So I would drive to the gas station. You had to go fill up again. Yeah, again. I ran out of 12 gallons of gas in the last day. Better go again. It's a little weird, Mike. P1, Mike Kick. Hey, what's up, Mikey? About that Netflix thing. Yeah? You can't access all the titles when you have it on Xbox or the LG thing. It's mostly like old movies. or, like, TV series. I think PlayStation 3 has it, too. Yeah. There's all kinds of ways. Like, NBC lets you watch Heroes instantly and stuff like that, but I still look forward to the mail on Saturdays because I need that extra movie, you know? I've got Apple TV, and on Apple TV, it's everything available on iTunes, so you can rent every movie available through iTunes. Just do it. Just do it. Just do it. You know what I'm saying? Just do it. Why not? Yeah. Yeah, I gotta get inside work. God bless you guys. Thank you, bro. Hey, talk about loss. Peace. Thanks. Ooh, ma, ma. Ooh, ma, ma. Let's do this. Like Eddie's face. I'm back. What's the matter with you? What is the matter with you? I have a bedtime, sir. Skye says that she didn't watch it, but did she really not watch it? What happened, Eddie? What was big? What did you think was awesome? I figured out why I wasn't that into the premiere. Why? Because it didn't focus on the island. Right.
The island is where everything happens, and it's all the goods. It's creepy town. Yes. And this episode was almost exclusively back on the island, and I loved it. All right. And I'm like, okay. I don't like seeing Jack and Kate and everybody in the real world. Like, it bothers me. But Kate looks so pretty when she's all dolled up. I mean, she looks really good. But I'm not really a fan of it. Okay. So this was all the island stuff, and we found out that they were back in time. They were in, like, the 1950s when the others were first there. And, like, I guess the military was on the island. And they were trying to, like, mess with the others. And there was this big battle going on. And we found out a huge thing that, I don't know, we have the clip. Do you want to play it? It's the one where Locke finds out about one of the young others and who it is. Uh, yep. Your name is Widmore? Charles Widmore? Shut up. What's it to you? Nothing. Nice to meet you. Is that Desmond? No. Charles Whitmore is... This ruined it. Yes, Charles Whitmore. Desmond. Is that my wife, Rebecca? That's his arch enemy. Yes, that's your wife, Rebecca. Is it Rebecca? Stop it. Yeah, that's Penny, his woman's father, who is the main bad guy. And it had never been said before that he has...
been on the island before, so he was an other, which is crazy. Holy crap, dude. So that was the big reveal yesterday. Holy crap. P1 Fred, are you there? Yes. What's your question? Yesterday, I DVR'd my The Lost episode, and my DVR cut it off in the last five minutes, and Locke was talking to Richard, and I didn't get to finish it. Oh. That sucks. And I didn't get to see what Locke asked Richard about in 1956 what happened. Well, he basically said, you know, that he told Richard that, you know, that I'm the leader of the others, that Locke was the leader. Okay. And Richard's like, I don't even know who you are. And he goes, well, you're going to. And Richard's like, well, you know, we have a very specific way of choosing our leaders. I have a clip of it. When they're kids. I think I have a clip. Oh, okay. I gave you this. Yes. After you were shot in the leg and I wandered out of the jungle to pat you up. That's right. And why don't I remember any of this? Because it hasn't happened. So we know in previous episodes that Richard visited Locke when he was a child. So that's why he went to visit Locke is because Locke in the future told him to go visit me. Which is crazy. So it's paying off. You're starting to get answers, which is great. And Eddie likes it better when they're on the island. No question. Because you get answers and there's all kinds of crazy stuff going on. Hey, Fred, thanks for the call, man.
I appreciate it. I love you guys. I love you. How about that? Sky, you got to get home and watch your DVR. Oh, dude. Tell me about it. Not your TiVo. You're not like Richard Gere or something like that. You know what I mean? You don't have to do that, but you think you get what I'm telling you. Yeah, no Richard Gere here. So, LT and AJ, this thing is not over. Oh, boy. It's not over. What? LT and AJ, there's still a whole thing going on. I'll tell you about it. The Mikey Show continues. Mikey shows on Rock 105.3. This is... Why doesn't A.J. Smith and L.T. just get in a room, talk it over, figure it out, and then let us know? Why is it that we are knowing about this?
without them discussing it. All I can tell you is that AJ Smith and LT, they're having a couple of words back and forth with each other. And it's beginning to be a thing. Now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. I got a lot of Chargers news for you, but before we get to that, I'll give you a couple other quick sports headlines here. As usual, Roger Federer owns Andy Roddick, and he beat him in straight sets in the Australian Open Semifinals. Sources say that the Raiders are going to name interim coach Tom Cable as the new head coach. Are you serious? Yes. Nobody wants that job, dude. Seriously. I mean, they can't get anybody. So, you know, why not give it to the guy that was there before? Such a mess. Yeah. This is kind of cool. Larry Fitzgerald has offered. What about Larry? What about Larry? What about Larry? He's offered to restructure his contract to help keep Anquan Bolden. Really? Such a good Samaritan. The guy is a great guy. He's a great guy. Now, Eddie, why would.
Larry Fitzgerald want Anquan Bolden to be there so badly? Well, number one, they're friends. Yeah. And number two, having a really good number two wide receiver will take pressure off him. Yeah. So, I mean, he wants that. He wants to have a guy beside him that will help take some of the coverage away. Sure. That's what I heard. Is that the deal? Yeah, I heard there's no. He may be the best, but he's still part of the team. She really likes Larry Fitzgerald. She loves that guy. Loves him. Got some Chargers news for you. Antonio Gates is going to skip the Pro Bowl. He's got that ankle injury. He doesn't want to re-injure it or anything, so he's not going to play in that. He's going to be replaced by the Texans' Owen Daniels. Chargers bring back former Browns offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski as their tight ends coach and assistant head coach. That's a real name. It is? Yeah, this is a big move because he was the tight ends coach two years ago, and then the Browns hired him away to be the offensive coordinator for them, and we saw what the Browns' offense was. It was pretty good. Yes, we did. So to get him back on the team I think is huge. Yeah. So that's a good deal. The Chargers aren't going anywhere for 2009. They're going to not use their out clause, which they have with the city of San Diego, which means they could have exercised this out clause.
paid something like $52 million and left. Left the city. So we have them at least for a season? They're here for 2009 for sure. Nice. That is good news. Love it. Okay. Now to the LT AJ stuff. Please, please. This has been ridiculous. You know what I mean? Obviously, the whole controversy of AJ Smith mocking LT in the Union Tribune a few days ago. Dude. Which, you know. I know AJ pretty well. We've interviewed him a few times, and I've talked to him a few times. I think that's his personality. He was trying to be funny, and of course it failed miserably. And it was a very mocking tone due to the face of the franchise, and you don't do that. And so AJ called LT personally, said apologize. said what he really meant. He wasn't trying to mock him. He was just trying to be funny. It didn't come across that way. He was very sorry. And so I think that is put under the bridge and done and whatever. So Tomlinson was interviewed yesterday on Jim Roman's burning, and he said that he is actually willing. He wants to stay in San Diego, and he's actually willing to talk about renegotiating his contract.
Now, is this a surprise that he's actually willing to stay and that he's actually willing to renegotiate? Well, most, you know, when you're a superstar, usually you don't really want to renegotiate your contract. What does that mean? Like he would take less money to stay? Yes. That is crazy, dude. Yeah. So, I mean, you know, LT, obviously he recognizes that, you know, the team can't pay him what his contract is at right now. Right. Which is like $9 million a year. And so, you know, he recognizes that he wants to stay in San Diego. And so if he's going to do that, then he's going to need to renegotiate or, you know, he'll be traded or released. I don't remember where I heard it, but someone said one time, there's no I in team. Oh, very wise person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Heard it somewhere. And so I think that that is exactly what that is. Yeah. I think that's what he's saying. You know, so, I mean, it's a sticky situation. It's one where I think. They'll probably work out now. If LT's willing to do that, then they'll probably figure it out. But I think that this whole situation, I'm hoping will take A.J. Smith down a notch. He's got a huge ego. He's the type of guy that it's his way or no way. Look at the situation that happened with Marty Schottenheimer. A lot of guys are...
were on kind of a personal level, like Donnie Edwards. Him and Donnie didn't get along. He was sent out of here. And I think he tried to do the same thing a little bit with LT. And that's one guy you don't do it with. I mean, this town, you know, for the most part, I would like to believe has embraced LT and recognized that this guy is a Hall of Famer. And, you know, you don't mess with guys like that. I mean, you know, if it's for the betterment of the team, I understand, you know, certain players have to go. i.e. Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison, type like that. But LT still has a lot left in the tank. And there's nobody behind LT that you can put in for him. So it's like, okay, we're going to get rid of LT to save money. Now what? You are on the verge of winning your first Super Bowl, your first championship. I mean, this team is loaded next year. And what are we going to do? Create this giant hole at running back by getting rid of LT? It doesn't make any sense. And I think you're right, man. You nailed it with this kind of needed to happen. I'm glad it did. I'm glad maybe it will kind of change A.J.'s overall demeanor or whatever. You have to. You could be a genius. Here's the deal with A.J. Smith. I think he's a great personnel guy. He makes great moves. He's had a couple of questionable drafts the last couple of years. But for the most part, he makes great moves. He makes good signings.
He does a lot of good things. But when you can't deal with people, then you have a big problem. But don't they have somebody? Don't they have a PR person who should be making these statements? AJ shouldn't be just talking to the press. Isn't there a dude who is on payroll and that's his or her job? Yeah, Bill Johnston over there is the public relations guy. He handles setting up the interviews. He doesn't make statements for the team. Well, they should have somebody who does the speaking for them. I'll do it. I don't know that that's a good idea. There's no I in team. I'll do it. She can just say that every single time. I don't like this idea. P1 Eddie? Yeah. What's up? If the charges do move, God forbid, what city would they go to? Does Eddie have any clue? Well, right now... I think the leading candidate is Los Angeles. Los Angeles is now trying to get a team back. Don't want it. I don't think LA cares. The people of LA don't care.
Did you hear that they were starting to do marketing up there? Like I heard a couple days ago that they were starting to do marketing up in L.A. to try and attract the rich people from L.A. to come down here and be a part of the Chargers during the season. Really? Which like people were like freaking out. Are they trying to like rich people? Like what do you mean? Like the rich people in L.A. Like, hey, if you want to enjoy football, come down to a Chargers game. Come buy a suite at Qualcomm and be part of it. So maybe laying the groundwork for getting Chargers fans in Los Angeles. I want winners. Oh, please. Would you vomit? 5701053. Nobody wants the Chargers to leave. Well, no, Mike. We got them at least for 09. Yeah. Right? Yeah, they're staying put here. I'll take that. That's got to make you happy. They got to figure something out. Well, yeah, Eddie. I don't. Still want them to do 09, though, and then split. All right, Cherry's Jubilee, and that's it. No, no, no. Stay longer. Stay longer. We need more. That is it. Don't. Come on. 570-1053 is the number. So that's a big deal today in sports. Would you like to hear the most annoying phrases that flight attendants hear? Absolutely. Yeah.
Okay, let me get my list. Every word out of Southwest Airlines. First of all. True. Or is it stuff they hear? Yeah, stuff passengers say to them that makes them want to smack passengers across the face. Okay. We don't say anything. Can I have extra peanuts? Is that it? No, but there is one on there about food. What? It's, what do you mean there's no food? Or, what do you mean we have to pay for food? Or, I can't believe you ran out of my food choice. Really? Yeah. People bitching about the food. That's annoying to us. Yeah. Yeah. And it's annoying when you get on here and you try to be funny on the thing, right? That is not annoying. That is the most annoying thing I've heard. It's not funny. What about, could you scratch my back? I think they like that one. So when a person taking a flight tells a flight attendant, I probably fly more than you do. Oh, boy. They don't care. They don't want to hear it. Great, you're an expert. No one cares. I heard it a million times. What about a blanket? Yeah. No, they're okay with that. Okay, when your flight is delayed.
When you're like up in the air for a longer time, when people go to the flight attendant. Oh, so does that mean that the alcohol is free? Does that mean I get a free drink? Oh, how about are we there yet? Yes. Yeah. Well, there is one that's similar to that. It's the where are we? When you ask the flight attendant exactly where you are up in the air. That's great. Where are we right now? I think they should know. They should. Yeah. What am I looking at? What is your name? Yeah, so those are the big ones that flight attendants do not care for. That's it? Take a look and write it down. Oh, so sorry. They can chill out for just a second. Yeah, we're so sorry. Those aren't even that bad. They probably do it all the time. I'm sure it is annoying. Why don't they just give us a break for 10 minutes? P1 Leonidas is on the line. Hello, Leonidas. Hey, good morning, crew. I missed you guys. Yeah, we're glad we're back. Yeah, glad to hear you're back. What's up, turkey? Yeah, turkey. What's up, you turkey? Turkey? What's up? Hey, I want to ask Eddie what he thinks of Mal Kuyper's mock draft of us picking running back. No, Sean Marino. I kind of think that's baloney. I don't know what that is. Eddie, what is he talking about? I don't know what he just said. He's a running back out of Georgia who is the, most are saying, the number one rated running back coming out into the draft this year. Yeah.
You know, if the way Mel's looking at it is if the Chargers are going to get rid of LT, obviously they need a new running back. Right. And so he would be the tops on that list. Or if they don't re-sign Darren Sproles, they'll need a backup. So, you know, it's good on both counts that they get a running back. There's other guys, though, that I would look at before I would look at running back. Because I think you can get... I think you can get good running backs in the second round and things like that. Yeah, we need some defensive help. Secondary, of course. Thank you. It's early, but remember this name, Everett Brown. He's a defensive end out of Florida State. It's exactly what the Chargers need. Yeah. So remember that name. I will. I'll write it down. First rounder? Yeah. First rounder? Everett Brown. I'll write it in my diary. 570-1053 is our phone number. It's my favorite reverend. This text message says, what is Ashley talking about not missing the Super Bowl? She wouldn't miss it. She made her ex miss the first quarter and leave before the end of the game. What a memory. She's crazy. That's P1 Zaki. I've changed my way since then. Oh, is that right? She's gotten into football now. This year was my first year where I did not miss one Chargers game. And every Sunday I was on my couch watching every football game I could.
Honestly, he's got a good point. Last year, I didn't feel the same. Changed my ways, guys. People can change. That's right. You got robbed is next. He used to eat a lot of natural food until he learned most people die of natural causes. At Express Tire, get 25% off all Cooper tires in stock at any of our 24 locations. Tires for less? And on surface streets, we've got some kind of malfunctioning signal light here on the 76 at Fusat Drive on the 76 San Luis Expressway. Heading eastbound right at Fusat Drive there, there's some signal light that's really causing a major backup there. So you might want to give yourself some extra time to get through that this morning. Heading south on the 15, you've got that usual slowdown off the 78 down the Via Rancho Parkway coming out of Escondido.
Picking up some brake lights now in the South 5 down the North County shoreline. Slow out of Lucadia down towards Manchester, and then you're good to go. Looking pretty good out of the East County. No big major problems on any of those freeways. The 805 northbound, though, starting to see some slow traffic up around Division Street, then again through North Park. And now some reduced speeds already coming out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. And watch for brake lights on the northbound 125 just past Merritt Boulevard. An accident there backing up traffic on the approach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. You're freaking awesome. I love you. That's awesome, dude. K-I. San Diego's Rock. With a Mikey moment. I think me, Eddie, and Rob should do a video for this. Yeah, yeah. We should do a video for this. Sexy is what it is. Absolutely. And it's just all of us slow dancing. It's two of us slow dancing and then periodically another one comes, taps on the shoulder.
To cut in, and then they dance, and then the other one waits about a minute. They come in and tap. That is Tim and Eric right there. That is Tim and Eric. And then we kiss. Okay. All right, Eddie. But then when you said that, it was like... Oh, shoot. That was not... I thought we were just brain-stwerving. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. That's what I'm talking about. Rob is a strange guy. You guys know this, right? Very well so. Rob is a strange, strange man. What? The point is that we send him out into the streets to ask people questions that have to do with what's happening in our world right now. And so we sent Boston Rob out, and we wanted to know what was going on for the Super Bowl. Like, what do people have going on for the Super Bowl? Oh, yeah. Yeah. And so let's hear him introduce the first guy.
I'm live. Hey, it's Boston Rob. My name is Damto Mosisa. Damto Mosisa. Rob, who is Don to Susupa? What is going on? Mimosa. Well, he's going to kind of introduce himself here in a second, so I don't want to ruin anything. What will you be doing for the Super Bowl this Sunday? Sunday for Super Bowl, and I'm a cab driver. Thank you. I drive people to the stadium. There it is. And are you going to be watching the Super Bowl at all, or are you going to be working the whole time? I can make my own schedule, so after Super Bowl over, I go... Okay, first of all... Yeah, what's wrong? He just said... Oh, wow. Do you think it's here? I guess he does because he said he's going to be driving people to the stadium. Oh, no. That is a long cab ride. It's a very long cab ride. Yeah. It makes some good money. It is. And you can't just throw Super Bowl out there like that and expect nothing to come of it. Come on. I'm going to be filming my first TV commercial. Thank you.
What? What? Yes and yes. I don't know. What does that mean? I think you said thank you. Thank you, Mikey. How else do you respond? What else do you want? Best response ever. Yeah, and Peyton Manning was signed on for his 19th and 20th commercials, and I got cast as the wall of his forehead. Thank you, too. Where are you, Rob? Big Ladesh. Yeah, where are you? Yes. This is in Big Ladesh. Can you hear it? 12 Pakistan Street, Pakistan. Thank you. Okay. Three, two, one. Go me. I'm live. And I'm out here with Pete Berger. Pete, what are you going to be doing for this Super Bowl?
I'm going to a giant party at my son-in-law's house. Big party, going to be a lot of people? 40 people. Somebody better tell him the Giants aren't in the Super Bowl. I'd rather sit alone. It's a different fight. Not watch the Super Bowl. The Patriots aren't going to be in the Super Bowl. So I was thinking that I'd rather clean all the bathrooms at an all-you-can-eat Indian buffet than watch the Super Bowl. That is gross. I'd rather do the Chargers for playing. Yeah. Me too. I'd rather tie a bunch of pieces of ham to my body, go up to Skies and risk being eaten alive than watch the Super Bowl. I'm glad that you are doing it, not me. And her shy. He doesn't even know what that means. Everyone gets it. San Diego knows. No, not everyone gets that. And three, two, one. I'm here with Aaron. Aaron, what are you going to do? It was almost like he was asking a question. Is that my name? What are you doing for this Super Bowl Sunday? Super Bowl Sunday? Watching the game. Yeah, you going anywhere? You going to any big parties or anything? Oh, yeah. Going to the house, they got three big screen TVs, lots of girls. Nice. Dang, dang. I might actually change my plans, but nah, I think I'm not going to watch the Super Bowl. The Patriots aren't in it, so the Sunday's going to suck. So I was thinking about inviting my hairiest friends over and having a waxing party. I'll cancel on that one. Oh, really? You're going to miss out on a lot of good tearing and ripping. That's disgusting. That is so stupid. That is so stupid, Rob.
You are so dumb. That's You've Got Rob. Oh, jeez. Let's see. Oh, my gosh, Rob. I think we learned a lot today. Rob, good job. Thank you. Thank you. So Ashley Simpson is defending her sister's weight. Yeah. I got to Google these pictures. I haven't been on my TMZ in a couple days. Hold up. Hold up. Did you? Well, I guess there's pictures of Jessica Simpson when she was recently at an event in Florida, and they're saying that she looks like she put on a couple. Really? She did. She put on some love weight. What do they call it? Love weight? Happy weight. Happy weight. She put on a couple LBs. They call it fatso weight. No, they did not call it fatso weight. She's been eating at her boyfriend's restaurant. Tony Romo's. No, it's a different place. The ribs there. Oh, guys. There are no Tony Romo's. How could you not eat it? You're going to have Tony Romo's. She's a football player. So Jessica Simpson's sister, Ashley, was very upset by all of this. And she took to her blog.
to make a stand. Oh, wow. Did she list the daily menu and what she has? Yeah. No. She did not do that? Can I have a junior Western bacon cheese? Junior. Junior. Come on. Western bacon cheese. I'm trying to watch my figures. Of course you are. All right. Cherry's Jubilee and that's it. That's all I want. I don't want any more other than that. Because I'm on a diet. Yes. So Ashley Simpson says she. A filet of fish. Yeah. And I'm going to go with a filet of fish sandwich. Why? Since that has less calories. Thank you. Because it's fish. Good for you. Yeah. Ashley Simpson says she's completely disgusted. And a small. And a small. And a small. A small. Chocolate shake. That's it though. Because I'm trying to watch my figure. Not a large. A small. A small. Thank you. Thank you. Again. Are we clear on this? Okay. Are we done? Is your order done? No. So I can go on with the story. What else do you want, Eddie? Well, I want a six-nugget thing. I'm just wanting a four-nugget thing. I'm trying to watch my calorie intake. How do you do that, Eddie? Well, you take the six-nugget, and you take two of them out of there. I don't care what you do with them. Okay. Now you're healthy. Now I got a four-nugget. That's right. Just like that. And then Cherries Jubilee. That's it, though. No more. All right, Cherries Jubilee. That's it. Oh, no more. Because it's so good. All right. Have you had the Cherries Jubilee? It's great. No.
So what does she say, Scott? So Ashley Simpson says she's completely disgusted by the headlines about her sister's weight, that it's embarrassing and belittling to all women, and how can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment? You named your child Bronx Mowgli. How can we take anything you say seriously? Thank you. Your husband straightens his hair. And wear skinny jeans. And you're attracted to that. Yeah. Don't you guys, what do you guys think about what she said? Don't you think that, you know, she's right. Like we put too much stuff on chick's weight. Absolutely. But she should shut up, though. She's dumb. She's taking it for her sister, so I support that. She says, how can we love and respect ourselves in an environment where we criticize a size two figure? That's true.
I don't know that she's a size 2. That's a lie. I don't know what that means. I'm looking at some of these pictures. She's gained some weight. She's not a size 2. No, that's what I'm saying. But why lie about it? Well, here's the thing, right? This is what we got to be concerned about. We got to be concerned when somebody is so overweight that it's unhealthy, right? Yeah. You know, that's the deal. But a few extra pounds of whatever. She looks fine. She looks happy. She looks good. Who cares? Eddie likes it with a couple extra pounds. Let's take a look and see. You'll probably be stoked on it, Eddie. What's up with the mom jeans? Send me the link. I'm not even signed on. The bad angle is not the most flattering outfit. It is a bad angle. It almost looks like she's wearing clothes a little too small for her. She's kind of bulging. But she still looks fine. She's still gorgeous. I'm okay with pictures. I'm not okay with the... captions. I know. I don't like the captions. They hurt my feelings for the person. Of course. You know? Yeah, it's pretty brutal. But, I mean, please. This is on Fox News? Yeah. And they're writing those goofy lines? Right? Oh, well, the jeans are not flattering. No, they're terrible. The jeans are not flattering. They're mom jeans. It's not her best day. No. Do you think that she's trying to start something new? Well, that's the style that's in right now. It is? Mom jeans?
Jeans that go up high like that. Oh, no, it is. That's bad. Guys do not like it. No. I'm speaking on behalf of the fellas. You're probably right. Fellas, or ladies, we don't dig it. It's like 1970s homemaker jeans. Yeah. No. It looks like you're looking at a JCPenney catalog from 1974. Gold Garden or something. Oh, well, I will then. I'll make a sandwich. Perfect for you. Yeah, right. It's not. opposite of the low riding hip hugger jeans. It's the opposite. Yeah, they go up real high and you kind of get a tight shirt and tuck it in and then the jeans go real high. Plus, Sky, think of all the denim cows that had to lose their lives for that thing. So much extra denim, man. Slaughtering a bunch of defenseless denim cows. They weren't even asking for it. But please, I defy a man to say he wouldn't hook up with that. I wouldn't hook up with the jeans, I'll be honest with you. I'll be very frank with you. You know what I'm saying, bro. I'm just saying, too. Oh, really? Say whatever you want. I was telling you. In Nigeria, a goat was detained. What do you mean by that? Over armed robbery. Sky.
This is a true story. Yeah. Is this the goat you sent, Skye? Well, I don't know exactly. Go fetch me my goat. I bet you it was. The goat I purchased for charity went, but I would doubt it was said goat. Skye purchased a goat for charity, and what she did was she gave it to a person in lieu of a gift. She said, I'm not going to give you any of my money. Well, it was for Mother's Day, and I got one for my grandma and for my mom. So I will give, in lieu of a gift, I will give you the gift of giving. The gift of goat. I will give you a gift that you cannot prove I actually paid for, which is this goat. Okay. Now, I promise you there's a goat somewhere. All right. I promise you, somewhere there's a goat. There's nothing tangible. Nothing you can use. Sorry. They already have everything. What do they need? That's right. Please. I thought it was a great gift. What are we, children around here? So in Nigeria, a group of people brought a goat to the police. Good thing you guys can't hear me when I hit the cough button. Yeah, it works really good, Mike. All I do is hit this cough button and then you can't hear me cough. It's like you disappear.
Where did Mike go? I know. It's like, oh, all of a sudden there was silence. He left the room. Really cool. So this group of people brought this goat to the police station in Nigeria saying that it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into the goat to escape arrest after trying to steal a Mazda 323. Whoa. Yeah, the goat. Did they question it? Well, they're working on it. The police in Nigeria are looking into it. It takes a while. You've got to short do a lot. Yeah, the police say that the goat is in their... You know, stuff they eat. The goat is in their custody. Shoot up socks. You know. They do have the goat in custody. They do have the goat in custody. When are they going to interrogate him? Thank goodness. I mean, I don't know. What if it changes back? That's freaky. I hope that David Caruso walks into that room with that goat and it's just a table. And a chair with a goat in it. Yeah, dude. And he walks in, he takes those glasses off, and he goes, we can do this a couple of different ways. Oh, no. You're either going to tell me where you were yesterday afternoon or what? Yeah. And they go to commercial, and they're like, oh, my gosh, what's going to happen? Oh, my gosh. I can't even believe it. And they come back, and the goat's sweating, you know? You see this tin can little goat? Oh, no. Oh, no. See that? You know what?
That looks real good to you. It looks delicious. Maybe we'll just sit here and wait. Well, maybe I'll eat it in front of you. It's delicious. It smells like a horse. It smells like goat. It smells more like goat. In Japan, blowfish testicles nearly killed seven people. Oh, I hate him. You gotta be careful. That happens. That's why I don't go in the ocean. You gotta be really careful. That doesn't make sense. I don't go in the ocean. No, no, no. It's not like you're out in the ocean just chomping away. And the testicles attack you. Yes. And you're like, ah, get away from me. Testes. You know what I mean? They were in, I'm like, oh, God, you're funny. No, no. No, Sarah. They went into a restaurant, I'm guessing, right? Yes, Mike. Oh. In Japan, blowfish is a delicacy. That is different. What? You have to be very careful. So they weren't swimming? No. Rob. You must be very careful.
When you're diving in. Yeah. Close your mouth, Ashley. That's right. I don't like it. So in Japan, if you want to serve and prepare blowfish, since it is dangerous, you have to have a special license that shows that you're trained to prepare it in a certain way so it's not dangerous to people. Of course you do. Well, I guess this one restaurant had a chef who just decided he was just going to put it on the menu, Mike. And so seven men ordered sashimi and grilled blowfish testicles at a restaurant on Monday night. Can you imagine how you couldn't even fill up on that, you know? You'd have to, like, order 50 of those to get fried. You'd get some dipping sauce at least. And why the testicles? Because it probably is a delicacy. It makes you more manly. Viril. Viril. Yeah. It makes you, you know, yeah, it makes you give, gives you testosterone. And it makes your friends laugh while you're eating. That's true too. It does all of the above. That's why me and Eddie go and get that. So shortly after these guys ate it, they started to, uh,
get limb paralysis, lose feeling in their limbs, have trouble breathing, and then started to lose consciousness and had to be rushed to the hospital. I heard that they lost feeling in their buttocks. Oh, really? Wow. That's just what I've heard, though. Go ahead. Oh. Sorry. Oh. What were you going to say? I just said something. Mike, you're frightened of me. Mike, that was so loud and sudden. You couldn't hear that, could you? No, I didn't. I think I was able to do that there. You guys even noticed it. Plastic Surgeons, they have a list of the most popular celebrity looks. In other words, the people that come in for Plastic Surgeons, they may say, make me look like this. We have a list of the top celebrities people want to look like. by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. The ride's getting tougher here as we move along. There's a new accident here in the South Bay, Northbound 5, just before a mile of the car's away. A big rig in a car got together, banged it up here, blocking the right lane, so watch our heavy backup on the approach in that direction. As you travel farther on that 5, you're going to find the usual slow traffic here coming up through National City. Then again, a little bit toward the bridge. A full-span backup on that bridge, by the way, in the Coronado. North 805 is also seeing some heavy traffic out of Chula Vista off and on through National City. Now that continues all the way with the brake lights into North Park. A heavier ride already developing out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52. Westbound on the 8 out of the East County here. You've got an accident here, actually around Avocado here in the East County, so watch for that. Westbound on the 8, blocking the fast lane, some traffic around that. And then as you come in towards La Mesa, you'll find the usual back up from La Mesa Boulevard, out towards Lake Murray, then again past the Q here in Mission Valley. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Carpe diem.
We need to live for today, right? Is that carpe diem? Yeah. I dreamt about fishing last night, Eddie. What does that mean? Do you know? Every time I ask you, you should come up with some random thing it means. What does it mean, Eddie, when I dream about flying? It means that your income will increase. Nice. Congratulations. What does it mean that I dreamt about fishing? It means that somebody is going to yell at you today in an accent. Sky said she'll be the one. It also means that there's gigantic savings going on at Sleep Train. Oh, yeah, that too. That too. Check it out. Go down to Sleep Train. They're your ticket to a better night's sleep. The Mikey Show continues. Featuring Mikey. I love documentaries. Eddie. I like to do what I like to do. I don't care really how I look anymore. Just like, whatever. Sky. I love award shows. I love the OC. I love 90210. You know, so when it comes to pop culture, it's my, like, one last bit of youth. Boston Rob. I'm the ultimate recycling machine. It's pretty much garbage disposal. It's true. Thank you. And Ashley. I support sweat everywhere I go. Oh, wow. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. By the way, it's 738. For this thing, I'm thinking that for guys,
If a dude is going to a plastic surgeon, first of all, it takes a very particular kind of guy to go to a plastic surgeon and say, make me look like this. You know, your typical guy listening right now is not that guy. You know, your typical guy that's driving around right now doing deliveries or working construction or whatever, you're not going to go to a plastic surgeon and be like, hi, can you, I brought a couple of things from a magazine here. One of them is Al Roker and I kind of like his nose. I wasn't expecting that. I want little Tommy from Jeff and Jer's ears. No way. I want Mikey's chin. Most guys don't do that. Well, they do have a list for the dudes, too, here. Brad Pitt. Stupid. No, so they break it down in categories. Judd Hirsch. Black guys, Asian guys, white guys. Okay, black guy, Will Smith. Wesley Snipes. Wesley Snipes' lips, for sure. I'm confused. So if a guy were to... Actually, Romans are better. Well, yes. More supple. Yes. If a guy were to go into a plastic surgeon and say, I want my body to look like this actor.
Who would they say? Matthew McConaughey. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's number three. Brad Pitt. Nope. Matthew Perry. I have no idea. Katy Perry, which is really weird. Matt LeBlanc. The Rock. Matt LeBlanc. Oh, sorry. That's just who I think is. Did I say that out loud? Oops. That was blown. Cadenson's hair. Yes. Well, they do have hair on here. Yeah, they do. Oh, Clooney. Clooney. What? Clooney. Clooney. Clooney. Clooney. Clooney. Are you out of guesses? No. Let's see. David Lee Roth. Who else is just yummy? Anthony Edwards. Sammy Hagar's hair. Paul Walker. 50 points for Anthony Edwards. Well, the fact that he's bald. I don't know. So for hair, it's...
Go ahead. John Stamos. Oh, I was going to say John Stamos. Uncle Jesse? For skin for men, it's Tom Cruise. They want their skin to look like Tom. It's not Bob Saget. Who knows that? I don't know. Who knows that? Who knows they want their skin to look like something? And as far as bodies, you already guessed McConaughey. I'm pretty metro. I don't know that. Yeah. You already guessed McConaughey. Also, Eric Dane and Huge Jackman. Eddie, who's Eric Dane? I think he's the dude on Grey's Anatomy. I think so, too. I actually don't know what that is. I don't either. Where's Dave Coulier in all this? Thank you. Where is he? He's not on there? Okay, so for chicks, who do they want their body to look like? I can tell you. Immediately, I know every chick. Their body. I'll tell you. Their body. I'm telling you. We're doing it by category. It's the same. Body. It's the same. Every chick hates her. Every chick thinks that she's gorgeous and says that she's ugly. Queen Latifah. Yes. What? She's doing Jenny. Scarlett Johansson. Not on the list. Shut it up. I do not think she has that great of a body. Whatever. Jessica Elba. I would say Jessica Simpson. No way. Jessica Biel. Jessica Biel is number three on the hot body list. She's rocking. She's like a dude. What? She's got like a dude body. Jessica who? No, she does not. Jessica Elba? No, Jessica Biel. What about that Chuck and Larry? She's got a nice booty, but.
Her arms are like guy arms. Like Hillary Swank. Okay. Don't like that. So you're saying you don't think Hillary Swank is hot. Let's debate. Oh, we should talk about this. Let's take a vote. Yeah. Okay. I have this diagram of her face. Okay. Analyze it. So who else? The hot bodies. Milana from Good Times. Scarlett Johansson. Alyssa Milano. Alyssa Milano. Is she on there? No. This is 2009. Of course, she's not on there. Whoever it is. Whoever it is. She's doing commercials or something. Yeah, proactive. Just saw it. Really? Whoever it is, I want their body to be natural. Britney Spears. Anyone from the Pussycat Dolls. Oh. That's what we were all going to say. We were all thinking it. Okay, do we give up on this category? No. Shelley Long. Why don't you at least check the list? Yes. Tina Ricci. No, no. You're so weird. You are so weird, dude. Kim Basinger. Kim Basinger. Mozzarella. Gwyneth Paltrow? Gwen Stefani? What? Cher. So do we give up on this category? Absolutely not. I mean, we'll be here all day. We should be. Fine, give me one. Yeah. Okay, number one for The Body. Mariah Carey.
Jennifer Aniston. Oh, yes. Boring. Boring. She's very proportioned. I like that. She's got a great figure. You know, she's somebody that every girl thinks has a great... But you ask guys. Guys are not going to say that. We don't care what you think. Give me Angelina Jolie. Okay, for... I said give me Angelina Jolie. For the lips category, who do you think? Of course. Angelina Jolie. I just said it. For skin. Who has great skin? Beyonce. Scarlett Johansson. Mike, stop guessing her. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, I know who you're thinking. The girl that was in Wedding Crashers. Rachel McAdams. That's it? Yeah, Rachel McAdams. Yes. No. All right, the chick that was in Click that was... Weird. The wife... Yes! Oh, dude, you... The girl that was in Transformers. Oh, Megan Fox. Yeah. Megan Fox. Yes.
Thank you. Jane Seymour. Yeah. Jane Seymour from the movie. Somewhere in time. Somewhere in time. Jennifer Lovey and Mandy Moore. Stop it. I'll get some Mulano. Is that some Rachmaninoff? Yeah. You're never going to get this. Oh, we will get it. You will not get this. Oh, yes, we will. We'll get it. Aaron Gray. Is Aaron Gray on the list? Please stop. So for skin. Bea Arthur. Cate Blanchett. Oh. Wow. Angela Lansbury. Okay, who has great hair? What celebrity chick has great hair? Cher. You're looking at her, baby. Hello. Giselle, Taylor Swift. Giselle. Oh, I'll tell you who has great hair. The girl, yeah, that you just said. The country girl. The curly hair. Taylor Swift. No. Okay. See you guys later. Alan Pompeo. Wow. No. All right. Christina Aguilara. Beyonce. I don't know. Who are we missing? Jennifer Aniston? Probably. Probably Jennifer Aniston, right? Yeah, the Rachel. Stupid. Oh, Sanjaya has a guest. Oh, Sanjaya. The Rachel? No, the Rachel's out, bro. What? Amy Adams. The Phoebe? It's a redhead. Oh, Tina Turner. Oh, the chick from Wedding Crashers.
Isla Fisher. I don't know her name. I know them from movies. Isla Fisher. Who even knows who that is? Everyone. Have you ever seen Wedding Crashers, bro? Mary Borat. Hey, Tim. Sasha Cohen. Is the greatest celebrity hair Phyllis Diller? Phyllis Diller. She's awesome. Of course it is. Super gorgeous. Is that it? Is that the end of the list? I am pooped. We're having fun. Did you know that boys with less common names are more likely to commit crimes? I don't like this study. Rob. I don't like this study. You don't like it? So less common names. Yeah, in other words, you know, like... Sirhan Sirhan? Yeah, it's like that. Okay, well, it makes sense. You know, like John Wilkes Booth. No, that one would not apply. That would not apply. Because John is a common name. That's a common name. Yeah. Hunter. Yes. So, yes, Eddie, name your kid Phlegm. Or, you know... Buoyant. Buoyant. You're asking for it.
Yeah, so this study compared names. Atlanta. Of all the boys like in juvie and then compared that to a list of, you know, just all boys names across the country. And they found that there is a higher percent of boys in juvie that have, you know, regular names, names that are not common. Oh, there's more boys in juvie that have the weirdo names. Oh, then that's the opposite. It means that, yeah, the less common names you are. more likely to do crime. Yeah, so if you give a weirdo name, like Bronx, then your kid's going to be a psychopath. Yeah. Well, duh. They say that the unpopular names kids are more prone to crime because they're treated different by their peers. Of course. It's harder for them to make friends. Dude, there's a kid named Adolf Hitler. Did you hear about that kid? Yeah. Seriously. Yeah, this happened in like the 50s. I heard all about that. No, no, no. This was something totally different. In Florida, there's some people that just had their kid taken away because they named him Adolf Hitler. And they're trying to say... Oh, wow. They tried to get him a birthday cake and no one would write it on the birthday cake. And so they caused this big old stink, made all this news, and then CPS came and took their kids away. No way!
So statistically... Blowfish testicles on them, huh? That's right. Can you believe the size of those blowfish? Yeah, so there you go. There go all the creative names. Good. I think it's sad. I don't believe that. No more Jaden. No, Jaden's a common name now. How did that happen? Ridiculous, man. How did we let that happen? Oh, I love that name. I'm not a fan of the, I call them the white names. Yeah. The Jadens. Yeah. The Tuckers. Bryce. I love them. The Bryce. Yes. Bryson. Yes, Bryson. I love Bryson. You do not hear. Mateo. You know what I'm saying? I love them. I think they're great. Come on. They're the worst. They're not the worst. They're stupid. What are the girl ones? What are the girl ones? The girl ones. What was? McKenna. McKenna. Cleander. Isabella. I don't want anyone to take it. Joseph. Two words for you, Ashley. Right. Someone's going to take it. What is your girl? Because you're about to give birth. Because you're about to give a child. You know what they are? They're all like soap opera names. They are. Yep. Right? Mm-hmm.
Go ahead. What is your name? I've already told you in the past if you remember the name. Chai. Chai. I like that. Tell me your name that you like. Ava. I love it. I love it. I love it. Do you like that one, Roman? No. Marlena. Yeah, Marlena. Thank you. Kyriakas. That's ridiculous. Embarrassing. What ever happened to Mark? John, Steve, Bill. Rob. Good name. Strong names. Yes. Eddie. It's true. Let's see. P1 Zach, you there? Yep. Our phone number, if you want to chime in, is 570-1053. What's up, Zach? Actually, I just learned about a name statistic yesterday in my class. What is it? What class? It is, if you have initials that are good, like say, like, yay or...
God or something like that, on average, live four years longer than the normal person. That statistic is only right 21% of the time. What class? Social psychology. What if you have bad ones? What if they spell something like... Yeah, what if they spell dog or poo? What if they spell ew? Yeah, what if your name is Paul Orsayas Orphelin? Poo. What if it's that? They said if you have bad initials, you live two years less on average. Oh, no. Sorry, poor Paul or Phallus. Poor Sorpheus. Oh, no. Does anybody have lozenges in their office? You guys all have separate offices, right? Yeah. Well, I do. I'll have my secretary go check. Thank you. Sky, you don't have a lozenge? You don't have any? No. No, what happened to your throat coat, bro? I can. do some of that, but a lozenge is better. Can you, can you, can somebody, can Zeth, hey Zeth, if you're listening, will you come in and do the, he makes it the best. He does the throat coat. He does the throat coat. So me, Rob, will you help me with this throat coat? Hey Sky. Yeah. You're a re-gifting thing. Remember, Eddie gave, do you remember this Sky? But Eddie gave you, Eddie gave you a gift from Beverages and More.
We don't need to rehash this right now. What was it, Eddie? I don't know what we're doing. Well, it was like a wine opening kit. Real nice wine opening kit. It had like wine stoppers, the corkscrew, all kinds of different stuff. He gave that to her and she gave it away. Yeah. Can you not? And then it also had a personalized gift card inside of it. Oh, no. She didn't realize. Two beverages and more? Yeah. And she regifted that as well. How much was it as a gift card? $100. This guy gave that away? Why are you bringing this up right now? And it had her name on it? It had her name on it. Oh, no. To her sister-in-law. She gave it to her sister-in-law. Oh, no. I want an update. Will you give us an update? Well, I want a million dollars. Okay. You guys get a lot of calls every morning that people pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean. So, man, every one of you are great. Thank you, man. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. I just, I wasn't supervised and I was free to watch whatever I wanted. Eddie. Yes, Mike, I have a gambling problem. No. Sky. I mean, we all know internally for a really long time. Boston Rob. I'm a catch. Come on, Mike. And Ed. If you're driving to work and you want to know what time it is, it's 8 o'clock. Sky, I'm sorry, it's that girl. Listen, Sky, how do you want me? How dare you, Eddie? How else do you say it? She got a gift from you. She's a bad person. No, she is not a bad person. People do this. People should never re-gift myself. She's a re-gifter. Please. She got a gift from you. She gave it away. I don't know why you're bringing this up. Eddie and I have moved past this. No, you're bad. When you say, please, are you implying that everybody re-gifts?
And we just don't say it. Like, we all re-gift, but we just don't say it. Yeah, I believe everybody has re-gifted. You know, maybe they're not as into it as I am. Like, as in every time. Well, I mean, I'm just... Well, yeah, Sky goes to websites about it. It's your fetish. There's a closet for it. Well, I do actually have a space in a closet. Sky, I believe I know a gift that you re-gifted to me, but I can't say it because if you didn't re-gift it, you'll be like, why did you think that was a re-gift? But I'm positive it was. Say it. Can I say it? Yeah. I'm positive. Will you tell me the truth? No, you'll want to hurt me. So you'll say, you'll go like this. You'll be like, that was not a re-gift. How dare you? And then I'll feel bad and you'll want me to feel bad. So you'll say, you know. Well, I don't think I've ever given you a re-gift. I said it one time, and you got guilt face. Let's see. Let's see. Shut up. You promise you'll tell me what you're saying? I will be 100% honest. You promise? I mean, I've already broken Eddie's soul, so why don't I just add you to the list? It was fajita warmers.
No, no. I was in Kohl's, and I saw him. You're Mexican, Mike. Hello. You're kind of hard to shop for, and you were in this phase when you were really into cooking, and so I was like, I bet he'd like to make fajitas. Are you sure? I swear. I swear. I swear. Well, now I feel bad that I said that it was a re-gift. Oh, it's okay. A tear warmer, whatever. Yeah, I got one time, I got you a burrow warmer. Yes. To warm your burrow. Yeah. Because I know the big whoop. I got your donkey feed. Remember the year I got your donkey feed because I'm sure you took a donkey to mock it. I'm glad you didn't like it. I did. I'm glad you thought it was a horrible game. This is horrible. She wants me to feel bad. She's a bad person. She's not a bad person. She is. Skye, let's explain the story. Let's do something else. How about that? I got an email from somebody asking if you would say what happened. Eddie gave Sky this beautiful thing. Truly amazing. From Beverages and More. Had a wine opener. It was a whole case, like a kit. It came with the corkscrew.
The wine stoppers, all kinds. I would have loved it. It was really nice. I would have loved it. Hey, don't pile on. I know she's not a huge wine drinker, but she's a company and stuff like that. I used to be a wino, but it started to make me sick after a while. It was a great idea. She re-gifted it. She gave it to her sister-in-law. Yeah, but what she didn't know is that I had put a gift certificate or a gift card to BevMo like in the gift. $100. Yeah, and she gave the whole thing to her sister-in-law. That was a bummer part. What happened, Skye? That was the bummer, right? Well, my brother and his brother were talking. No, my husband and his brother were talking. That makes more sense. They were talking, and all of a sudden, you know, I don't know, it's weird. Like, I don't like to talk on the phone, but my brother-in-law and his wife, they always like to like. Oh, now she wants to talk to you. Oh, now. And they, like, switch the phone around. My mom will do that. Yeah, they're like, there's those people and there's not those people. You know, I just go, oh, tell them I say hi. Yes. You know, I'm not the one like, oh, let me say hi. But anyway, so they're those people. So my husband's talking to his brother. They talk probably about once a week. And then all of a sudden goes, oh, yeah, you know, Serena would like to say hi. And so Serena gets on the phone and is talking to the boo, my husband.
And was like, yeah, so thank you guys again for the wine set. I really, really liked it. You know, it's funny because... there was a gift card in the case. No way. To Bethmo. No, she didn't. Which was addressed to Skye, you know, which is not my birth name. Skye is not the name my family calls me. It isn't? No, it isn't. No, it is not. It's the name I called her way back in the day. What? I had no idea. And so, yeah, and it was addressed to Skye from Eddie and someone named Debra. Oh, my. And she, I guess, according to my husband, she just kind of started laughing about it. And, you know, that was kind of like it. Like, she was cool about it. She alluded to the fact that she realized it was a re-gift and just kind of laughed about it. She wasn't upset that it was a re-gift? No. Well, what did your husband say when she said that? He was just like, oh, yeah. You know, my husband, he's very non-confrontational. Like, you got...
Skied. So he's like, yeah, yeah. And then so they hang up, you know, whatever. And what I thought was kind of weird is I said to my husband, I said, well, so she acknowledged that the gift card wasn't really for her, but she didn't like offer to send it back to us. Well, it was a gift. What the hell? It was a gift. Why would she send it back? Well, it wasn't for her. You're the best. Well, it is now. You gave it to her. You gave it to her. But it's addressed to Skye. Well, but if you're going to follow one logic, don't you got to follow the other one? So you expected her to send that card back? Well, I thought she'd offer. No, this is not happening. I thought she would offer. I thought she would offer. And the boo, when I said that, I'm like, she didn't even, like, offer to send it back. Oh, shoot. Yeah, he just shook his head at me and didn't even, like, say anything. And I'm like, well, I figured she would offer. Are you? I don't even understand. I would have offered. You would not. I would not. You are such a liar. She's going to catch on fire. Literally catch on fire right now. She should. If I knew the gift card wasn't for me and was a mistake. You would be pissed, first of all. She'd be hurt and upset that somebody gave her. I would not be pissed. Of course. Out of spite. I would not. We know you. I would not. You do not know me. We know you so well. So good. You've never met me. So well. You've never even met me.
You're ridiculous. I just thought it was weird she didn't offer to send it back. Sky Mantha. Sky Mantha. You know what? Why would she send it back? It's a gift. Well, because it's obvious it wasn't for her. It was, though, for her because you left it in there. It was an accident. She doesn't know that, Sky. It was like if my wallet accidentally falls in your purse. Wait a minute. What if you accidentally gave the purse to somebody as a gift? And that's not even true. It would be if Eddie's wallet was accidentally in that gift. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. What the heck? I just thought it was weird. I just thought it was weird. You are weird. I'm not going to ask for it back. I'm not going to ask, but I just thought it was weird she didn't offer it. You thought that it was... Are you kidding? Yeah. Basically, this is what Skye is saying. She's saying, how inappropriate... I'm not saying inappropriate. I said we're. Okay, fine. This is what Skye is basically saying. Do you people realize that we are in a day and age that you cannot even re-gift something to someone without them being honest enough to send back money you gave them accidentally?
I mean, is that what kind of day and age? You were initially dishonest by regifting something. I was not dishonest. How is regifting dishonest? It is the epitome of dishonesty. It is not a gift you bought for that person. But it's something I think that person would like. And it's something I wasn't using. It's not really dishonesty. It's more of a facade. Yes, that is. It's gross. It is not gross. I just thought it was weird. Yes, I'm alone on that. You are a bad person. It had my name on it. P1Cat. Oh. Yeah, hi. Good morning, guys. How are you? We're good. Hi. You apparently support Sky. Listen, I've been listening for a long time, and Sky says some stuff sometimes. It's just like, oh, come on. But this time I'm with her. I'm 100% with her. I do this, and I do it because if you think about it, people give gifts sometimes. Maybe they don't really think about what the person really wants or their personality. Obviously, like the fajita set. They deserve it. You guys, my mother-in-law buys us the craziest stuff, and it's like little angels or butterfly ornaments in the middle of summertime. What are we going to do? Are we going to buy a storage unit just for these crazy gifts?
Give them to somebody who might actually use them. Oh, please. I mean, it's so altruistic. I get it, girl. Oh, what a giver. Yeah, what, should we sit around and collect dust? And there's some little child who would actually love that? Little child, like a wine set? Yes. Well, I'm saying it for a sample of the little angel. Yes. Little baby wine set. Yes, here you go. Little Charlie, I hope you live longer. who might really use it. Okay, so if you get, let's say you got a butterfly ornament and you didn't want it, right? So you give the butterfly ornament to someone you think will really use it and there happens to be a $50 gift certificate to Nordstrom in there. Call it a day. Are you going to ask for it back once that person finds out you were gifted it? I said I wasn't going to ask for it back. You just thought it was rude. You didn't get it back. I didn't say it was rude. I said it was weird. I said it was weird. So what are you saying in saying it's weird? What do you mean it's weird? What's weird about it? I'm just surprised she didn't offer. Now, what does that say about her that she didn't offer?
Nothing. I'm just surprised because normally she's this kind of person who's one of the sweetest people ever. Don't try to sugarcoat it now, sister. No, I'm not. She's like the kind of person who apologizes when there's no need to apologize. No, she's like one of the sweetest people I know, so I just assumed she was going to offer to send it back. I think that she would have offered to send the entire gift back, right? No, because the wine set was addressed to her. Skye, even when you said that right now, you see the guilt on your face. I wrapped it and made a little tag. Oh, yes. So the wine set was intended for her. Why didn't you just give it back to me? You didn't want it. I'll give you something else. Why didn't Mike give me back the fajita set? He loves the fajita set. It'd be rude. Yeah, that's rude. That is rude. But expecting a gift card that you regifted on accident back is not rude. I never said I expected it. I thought it was weird. You are weird. Talk to me about what weird is. What does weird mean? What do you mean you thought it was weird? It's her nice way of saying she expected it. It's her nice way of saying she should have sent it back. Yeah. How could she not send it back?
It's mine. But right there, that would be rude because you're giving a gift back and you just said that's rude. But it was an accidental gift. It wasn't an intentional gift. Sky Mantle. Well, you guys grow up. You weren't being childish. You should give her the fajita set. Can you quit bringing up the fajita set? I would not be hurt if Mike re-gifted the fajita set. I'm an adult. I can deal with it. I can't do that. You gave it to me as a gift. I would be giving it away. He loves it. I would be giving away something you gave me. From the heart. From the heart. Which I am sure was a re-gift. And she's just making me feel bad. She wants me. I swear it was not. I believe her. I will find my Kohl's statement. Show it to you. That is true. You probably have that actually. Of course. Well, you need to save at least three years worth of credit card and statements. P1 Jose. Jose. Hello? Go ahead. You're on the air. Yeah, I was just calling in regards to the re-gift. Please. Like, I know guys, like, saying that she doesn't want the gift card back or the money back. Well, I didn't say the money. Oh, yeah, please. That's all she's screaming. No, I'm saying I wouldn't ask for it. She's salivating for it. I wouldn't ask for it. Please. I mean, are you kidding? Show me the money! I'm saying I wouldn't ask for it. Will they give me the difference? Yeah.
What is he saying? I don't know. We're going to have to ask you. Jose, say it again. What do you think is going on here? No, because she's saying that she doesn't want the gift card back, but obviously she's putting it out on the air so she can hear. No, she can't hear. She wants the gift card back, but she doesn't want to intentionally say that she wants it. The lady that we're talking about doesn't live in San Diego. Yeah, she lives in NorCal. But Sky does want it back. But I wouldn't ask for it. It's so obvious. Show me the money. You're awful. Maybe you're awful. No, I'm not. I gave you a wonderful gift and you threw it away, basically. I said thank you very much. I love money. Just don't drink wine very much anymore. So what? I'm supposed to just keep it? I would like to get... You didn't let it go to waste? I'd like the $100 certificate back so I can sell it on Craigslist. I would not. Bev Moe has a lot of cool stuff. Have you been in there? $80, you know? $125 I'll sell it for. Because he gets me. Profit money, profit money, profit money, profit money. What? I once sold a $100 bill for a $150 bill. Shut up, Rob. Go figure that out. P1 Courtney.
Hey, I've got a story just like Skye's. I totally agree with Skye. When I was younger, I don't know, maybe like 12 or something, my friend invited me to Magic Mountain, and we get over to, like, where the games are, and we have, like, the ring toss thing. There's, like, this big, giant, like, teddy bear thing that I totally want. So we totally, like, start, you know, tossing our rings. Well, she runs out of rings, and I've got two left, and she looks at me, and she's like, hey, can I have a ring? And I was like, yeah, sure, I guess. Give her the ring. She tosses it, gets on the bottle, and she wins. And I'm like, oh, crap, you know, and I did mine, and I lost. And she goes, like, she looks at me, and then she looks at the guy, and she's like, I want the teddy bear. And then she makes me help her carry this giant teddy bear for the rest of the day. She didn't even, like, offer to say, like, hey, do you want it since it was your ring or whatever. Just got it, made me help her carry it the rest of the day. I was so... Well, shouldn't you be happy for her? I mean, well, then what's the point of using it at all? You know what I mean? You want her to lose? Listen, let me... Excuse me. Well, then why give it to her? Why give it... Listen, we've talked about this off the air. You guys don't get it. We've talked about this off the air. We'll bring it up on the air. What? Sky told me about the website, the HGTV website. Don't tell...
everybody, Mike. You have to wait until February 13th to discuss this. It's the dream house, Sonoma. Sonoma is so beautiful. She tells me about this thing and it's beautiful. It's a sweepstakes. So I go on there and I put my name in the hat. If I won it, she would hate me. That is true. And it's like, well, wouldn't you be happy and be like, I'm glad of my friend that I told about this. They're doing... Different. You wouldn't have even known about it if it wasn't for me. Right. But that's why it's so cool that you told me. Yeah. But listen, it's like karma, man. We're friends, man. It's karma, man. Like, this chick on the phone, like, she gave a ring to that girl. And the girl won a teddy bear and then doesn't give her anything back. It's like, okay, that's fine. Karma. Karma will catch up. Wait. Wait a minute. Karma will catch up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're making a point about karma for the girl that's mad. Yeah, she did a nice thing. And then the girl that got the teddy bear should have done something to give her. How about this side? How about this side? You do a nice thing for somebody and then they, you know, get something out of it like you would kind of want. That's why you're doing it in the first place. You're helping them. And then what is in your heart? Resentment. Please talk to me about karma.
Hey, you're not. Could you guys imagine if we did a lottery pool with the show and hit. Forget it. It's a nightmare. Why? It's a nightmare. We would split it if we did a pool. Like, there's no problem there. I just feel like there would be something. My dollar was more powerful. Yes. I picked this. Guys, if we all decided we were going in on a lottery pool and we gave, you know, we said we're going to go on this lottery pool. We're each going to give 20 bucks. And we collect our money, we give it to Skye, ask her to buy the tickets. She buys the tickets, they win. We win the lottery. It would be over for us. Well, who went and got these tickets, you guys? Oh, no, no, no. I disagree. Or how about Rob? You know, like, I have to float Rob the one week, the dollar, that we win. Yes. Well, Rob's been in it the entire time, but the one time I float him the dollar, is he... Is he not entitled to it? Yeah, he's helping Rob out. So that means that, what, he should give Eddie more money? He doesn't have to. Half of Rob's thing because I floated him the dollar. He doesn't have to, but... But what? I gave with no expectations. Okay, let's turn it around then. Okay, so Ashley, you give every single time, right, to be in this lottery pool. One week, you're a little short on cash, I float you the dough. Now...
Are you going to give me hundreds of thousands more for that? I'd give you like probably 10 Gs or like 20, depending on how much I want. No, you wouldn't. No, you wouldn't. You're disgusting. Save this and play it back when I win. Most definitely. Absolutely. Hands down. And I wouldn't even think twice about it. You would give... You give me the ticket and I won? No, no, no. No. You give me the dollar to pay for it? Let's describe it again. Let's describe it again. Every week we go in on the lottery. Give me a buck. This might take a while, Mike. Every week. There's five of us, right? So every week, five bucks, we buy five lottery tickets. Oh, it's a collaborative thing every week. It's a collaborative thing. Every week we buy, give me a buck. And so I go, hey, I'm making my trip. I'm making my trip. And you go, oh, you guys, I don't have my dollar. And I go, don't worry, I got you. So I throw in the dollar. So, okay. It's a collaborative ticket. This girl gives the ring to the friend and she wins with it. Like, what do you expect? I mean, listen.
That's why you're helping them. That's why you're giving them the ring thing to win. You're hoping they win. Sure. If you give something to somebody with the expectation of something given back to you, that's gross. You shouldn't have an expectation. Yeah, you do have an expectation. That's what your expectation is. That's the whole point. That's the whole point is you do have an expectation and to the point where you think it's bad karma if you don't do it. That's how much you expected. I'm going to give you this ring, but if you win, you better give it to me. And if you don't, you're a bad person and bad karma. Bad karma, bad person. Bad, bad person. Cut the bear's head off and give it to me. Wait. I mean, if Blunder had expected for the bear to take the peanut butter with nothing in return. Wait, wait. Preach it, Mike. That's a whole separate story. Okay, yeah. We'll have to go. I better tell it then. No. Okay. Do it. So, that was sensational. Unbelievably spicy. You just need to grow up. Ding, ding, ding. You've got a lot of problems, lady. That's what I was trying to say.
Fajita set. Let's make some fajitas. Can you believe this guy? Hey, check this out, man. Can you believe him? I guess the chick that does a voice for Bart Simpson. Did you just bring up the fajita thing again? This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. Back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love Wookiees. Sky. I don't know anything. Boston Rob. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Famous Mikey Show. Today's Thursday, the 29th of January. It's 8.32. Bizarre stuff happening out in the world. We said before we went to break, I wanted to tell you about this. I want to tell you about some of the stuff that's going on with Mickey Rourke, and I even have a new little theme that we're going to be working with. With the top news stories of the day, this is The Mikey Show 360. Oh, wow, we're so official. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Rob, see how it happens. Oh, yeah. I do that. You do that? I can do that, personally. Yeah, you're good. 360, 360, 360, 360.
Maybe he used Rob to get that done. I could do that. Obviously. So, Eddie, remember how we were talking about Mickey Rourke and he was going to go in the WWE? Yeah. What's the deal, Sky? Well, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which were Sunday night in L.A., Mickey Rourke, you know, he's in that big movie, The Wrestler, up for a lot of awards. Well, on the red carpet. He was calling out Chris Jericho of the WWE, saying that he was going to see him at WrestleMania in Houston in April, and that, quote, he was going to toss Jericho around the ring like a tossed salad. Okay. Well, let's not go there. Fair hug. So, I mean, to anybody listening to that, it sounds like typical WWE, you know, pump up to, yeah, SmackDown. On Monday Night Raw this past Monday, they did a whole thing with it. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Like, Chris Jericho came out. He was talking smack about Mickey Rourke. They played the clip of Mickey Rourke talking, you know, bop-bop about Chris Jericho.
They played the trailer to the wrestler. I mean, it was a whole thing. Really? Yeah. Well, a spokeswoman for Mickey Rourke has just released a statement saying he will not partake in the WWE's WrestleMania. And he is focusing entirely just on his acting career. It's just a broken down piece of meat. Okay. I don't get it then. So, I don't know. Like, why would they start that storyline if they didn't have it all? Yeah, I don't know if, like, Mickey Rourke went on his own and was like, oh. No way. No way, because the WWE was in on it, too. Well, I mean, like, he went on his own, like, when he was asked by them, like, oh, yeah, this is a great idea, and started doing this whole thing. And then his people. They wouldn't have gone through all that production, right? They would have signed a contract and all that stuff. Oh, so you think there'd be a signed contract before he would do this? For sure. Before the WWE would go on the air with it. Really? Yeah, for sure. And play the trailer. Yeah, they're not going to go out there and just be like, oh, Mickey Rourke said, so. So let's start this. No way. Well, and how did said contract get undone? I don't know that I believe it. You don't believe the spokesman? It got undone because it made me take a pee test. Listen, Randy the Ram. Yeah. What? It made me take a pee test. You know, there's a really funny, like, kind of side subplot in The Wrestler that's hysterical. What?
I guess his given name is Robin, Randy the Ram Robinson. Yeah. And, like, he has to wear this name tag in one of his jobs. And they put, you know, from, like, his birth certificate or whatever. Yeah. Robin on it. And he hates it. And he, like, freaks out any time anybody calls him Robin. That is strange. Which is great. I loved it. For no reason? For no reason. That's funny. That's kind of funny. Yeah, I love it. Well, I guess we'll see what happens with this. As of now, no. Mike. What? Grow up. So I paused the TV. It's a problem. Ridiculous. Stop it. What is his name? Willard Scott. Yeah. He's wearing quite a getup today. Well. Gotta stay warm. Yeah, gotta keep that noggin warm, Mike. Apparently, Rob, he stole your hat. Right? That's so awesome. What kind of hat is that? What do they call those? Nobody's been able to come up with an effective army for those. Like kangaroo or something? Yes. Kangaroo. Something like that. Wallaby Darn. Yes. Shut up. They call it the Wallaby Darn. Whatever. Well, no Mickey Rourke in the WWE. I'm not buying it. Or is he? I'm not buying it. He seems to say he still will be. I think so. All right. Will he be the guy from the movie? No. He won't be Randy the Ram? I don't think so. He'll be Mickey Rourke? Yeah, he'll be Cruzy. That would be really super weird.
There was an earthquake this morning off the coast of La Jolla. La Jolla. La Jolla. How big? It was a 4.2. It happened just about a quarter to 1 a.m. And they say it was 57 miles west of La Jolla. So we haven't heard from any P1s yet who said they felt it or not. But there were no. It was 57 miles out. I got a feeling you're not going to feel it. You can't feel it. Dude, you got the best barrels ever, dude. 50 miles away. 60 miles in the ocean. I bet you there's killer waves. Killer waves. Get pitted. Get pitted. I don't know if anyone felt that. I don't know about that. You just get spit right out of them. You get spit right out of them. That's what happened. Do you think that's what happened? Yeah. I think an old tsunami comes and you ride it in. I have to. You have to ride the tsunami in. I don't think Rob's ever ridden a wave. Beg to differ? On the contrary, yeah. Really? What have you done? When I first moved out here. I live right next to the beach. I started surfing. I quit a couple jobs just so I could surf. Oh, that's good. What happened? What do you mean what happened? Why did you stop? I sold my surfboard. Yeah. I pawned it. Who's on the phone? For drugs? I don't know. Hello? Hey, what's up, man? It's Aquaman. Hey, Aquaman. What are you doing? What are you doing, man? Aquaman, what are you doing? Hey, I just wanted to comment on the earthquake this morning. Wait a second.
That's weird. Aquaman. Yeah. You sound like young and hip and like cool like surfer dude. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah. I just, I thought that Aquaman was like. I was talking to this huge tuna fish. Yeah. I was like, dude, what was that, man? And the tuna fish was like, I think it was an earthquake. And I was like, whoa. Really? Yeah. And then I was talking to this giant squid. Yeah. Named Herm? Right. There's a giant squid named Herm. Yeah, and Herm was all, dude, that was like crazy. How can you tell him for sure? Like what could be, you know, like a whale fart or something. A whale fart, yeah. You never know. Apparently you guys are saying it was. This is Aquaman on the phone. Wow. Aquaman. Yeah, exclusive. Awesome. Wow. Hey, Aquaman, is everything cool? You're all right? Yeah, I'm good. The ocean floor got all crocked and stuff. What? Oh, no. No lava came out or anything. Oh, good. Oh, good. Did any valuables break in your place or what?
The ocean is my place, guys. I don't know. I thought maybe you had a little... That's a ridiculous question. I don't know. Hey, Aquaman. I don't know, dude. What does that even mean? What would have broke? You don't have anything. It's just the ocean. Aquaman, are you played by Keanu Reeves? That's funny, Rob. Oh, no. Why don't I talk to my friend, Hammerhead Shark, and have him come talk to you? Yeah, you should do that. You played by Matt Damon. Boring. I'll talk to you guys later. That's Aquaman. You're the best. He was just calling him to say what up. That was quite exclusive. I really liked that. What a trip. Yeah. He thought it was a whale farting. That does cause quite a ripple. Do you guys remember... You're so dumb. You are so dumb. It does. It really does. Do you guys remember the fugitive mom from Carmel Valley? Just a regular soccer mom.
And apparently years and years ago, she did something in Michigan. What'd she do, Skye? Selling heroin. Oh! Yeah, no joke. Who hasn't done that in Michigan? Okay, good point. But this was back in 1975. When it was legal. It was still legal. So then it's fine. It's fine. Not a problem at all. It's before the Michigan heroin laws came into effect in the late 80s. That was a bummer. So what happened? They yank her out of her house. Yeah, somehow somebody tipped her off that she was living in Carmel Valley, tipped off the police in Michigan. I don't know how that all went down, but whatever. And they came, total narc. They came and they took her out of her house and brought her back to Michigan and locked her up because she was serving a 10 to 20 year sentence. And she was only in there for a very short time before she escaped. Oh, she escaped? Yeah, she escaped from jail. No, she, you know. teleported out of it. I don't know. That's why she was living here in San Diego. She escaped. I didn't know that. Made a life here. Changed her name. Right? Married. Yeah. Kid. Kids. Yeah. The whole deal. Wow. Like soccer mom. Yeah. Basically. Yeah.
And somebody narked on her and they came and got her and took her back to prison. And, you know, so they were trying to figure out whether she was going to have to serve her sentence or not. Make good on that 10 to 20 year sentence. She's been in jail, though, right? Yeah, she's been in jail for a little while now. And because they've been trying to figure this all out. Right. And so. Yes. So they just decided yesterday that she will be released on May 19th. And the reason she has to stay till May is because she has at least 10 infractions that she's racked up since being in prison. Get out of here. What do you mean? They say things including hiding prescription pills in her cell. No way. Yeah, so they're going to let her out in May. So she's been bad in jail? Yeah. So they're going to let her out in May as long as she doesn't cause any more trouble in jail. But a lady. Right? What a trip. Weird. That's really weird. So as long as she doesn't cause any more trouble, she gets out in May. But if she's bad again, they're going to revisit it. Like real life is weirder than anything else. It's a trip. It really is. So because she escaped so long ago, she basically got out of her prison sentence.
Not really. Well, they reexamined it and said, okay, you've turned your life around. You're a model citizen. You're not a threat to society type of thing. But if she would have escaped and still been a criminal, they still would have made her a servant. Wow. Regardless, it's a crazy story. John Landis is suing Michael Jackson, but who hasn't? Why? Yeah. Well, so John Landis co-wrote and directed the Thriller video. And I guess they had a deal. He had a deal with Michael Jackson where he would get 50% of all the royalties from Thriller. And so he filed a lawsuit last week because I guess he hasn't been getting the back royalties on Thriller. And then this week, it turns out that Michael Jackson made a deal to sell the rights to Thriller to Broadway for them to make it into a musical. Yeah, Michael Jackson reportedly got it. $400,000 to make Thriller into a Broadway play. And so John Landis is like, hey, bro, where's all my money? Michael Jackson isn't paying up, so he filed lawsuits over it. This is Michael Jackson on the phone. What's up, Michael? You have that part of the story wrong. They weren't going to pay me $400,000. They were going to pay me $400,000 leprechauns. Oh, really?
They were going to give me 400,000 leprechauns. That is awesome. Because that's what I asked for. But why would anyone want for... 100,000 leprechauns. Because they didn't have 400,000 pounds of belly lint, which is what I originally wanted. Well, that's kind of weird. They said they didn't have that, so the next thing on my list was leprechauns. Oh, okay. Now it all makes sense. Well, no, it doesn't, Eddie. It's still weird. And so then I was like, I said, I want it. Why are you doing that? You're not even. That doesn't mean. That doesn't mean anything, Michael. I loved that, Michael Jackson. Those are just sounds you're making. I'm still going to pay John Landis, though. Oh, good. Well, you should. That's the right thing to do. I'm paying him a magic bean. Okay, well, see you again. Not everybody. I already told him I was going to pay him, so he should be cool. No, I don't think so, Michael Jackson. I also sold the rights to the song Remember the Time.
Oh, that's a good one. I sold that to Broadway, too. Oh, I don't know that anybody really wants that. Magic Johnson is too expensive, so they got Dikembe Mutombo. Okay, really? What are you saying? You remember Magic in the video. Yeah. And then he'll be all, do you remember the time? That's how the song goes. Do you remember the time? Do you remember the next line? I don't remember the next part of it, but I can ask my friend, Mr. Giggles. Mr. Giggles, my new friend. Jeepers passed. Oh, thanks for bringing it up. Jeepers passed away. Michael Jackson? Yeah. He wasn't that old. What happened? He had caterpillar AIDS. Cats get it. Caterpillars get it. But I have a new friend named Mr. Giggles. Really? He's a kangaroo. He lives in my ear. That's not possible. I can't afford to pay John Landis. Why not? Because I covered most of the money with peanut butter.
And then I ate it at a snack cake. You know about the salmonella, right, Michael Jackson? Oh, my God. Six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend. This is the P1s and stuff like that. Rock 105.3. Check engine. So many things can go wrong with your car. Hey, you guys, when you read your lottery tickets, do you imagine what you're going to ask? when you look at your ticket and realize it's a winner. Well, I will purposely give myself about 10 to 20 minutes before I check my tickets to imagine what it will be like. What it is. When they match. Yeah, when I match. Like, what am I going to do first? Who am I calling? What's the first purchase? How am I going to act? What will it be like? Who will I punch? I can get away with it. I'm a millionaire. Go ahead. Sue me.
Okay. You're number one on the list. I am not number one on the list. It's not true. Eddie. Yeah. If you are checking your lottery ticket, your wife is with you. I want you to give me a real thing here. You're checking your lottery ticket. Your wife is with you. You see every single number matches. Do you get all crazy boisterous or do you very calmly go, babe, we just won $62 million? Yeah, I wouldn't be a screamer. No? Yeah, I would somehow try to surprise her, too. Oh, wow. You know, like say, um, can you double check this real quick? Or something like that and make her read it, too. Ooh, that's creative. So she can react. I'd probably faint right away. But wouldn't you, in the moment when you read it, you wouldn't flip out yourself? I think my eyes would probably get real big and be like, holy cow, holy cow. I would not believe it. I know that I would see every number match and I would not believe that it's what I'm seeing. And I would be like, I know this is not the right day. And I'm going to be totally bummed in a second because I'm going to realize this isn't the right day. And then when I realized it was the right day and that they matched, I would have to have five people confirm that that does in fact match. Oh, I wouldn't let five people touch it. I'd write down the numbers and go.
Check these. I would call Robin laugh. That's right. That's it. Just laugh. Say sorry, Charlie. I would just cry. All right, dude. We're going to Greece. Pack your bags. And we could finally, I could finally take my mom to Italy since my mom will watch things that have Italy and she will do this like she did this last Sunday. My son likes this video called Amapola. I beg your pardon? Amapola. I'm sorry. I don't know what he's saying. It is Italian word. And my mom sings it to him. It's a song. And that guy, Andrea Bocelli. Andrea Bocelli. He probably know about it. That's right. Sky, he is who you listen to when you make macaroni and cheese. So I pronounce it mozzarella. We don't have to make a whole bit out of it. That's the actual word. Okay, it's really not that interesting. So we put the video on.
of this song, and it starts with a helicopter shot of Tuscany, and my mom goes, I want to go to Italy. Very subtle. And I was like, I'm not sure what she's trying to tell us. You've got to read between the lines. You have to read between the lines. How would you like to do some of this? Now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Let's do it. Hey, what you got? All right, well, let's lead off with some Charger news. LaDainian Tomlinson says he is willing to talk about renegotiating his contract. Which is cool. So he'll take a pay cut. I like it. Restructure it, maybe give him some more money up front, and then just kind of, you know, restructure the deal so that they have more room to play with and sign Phillip Rivers and stuff like that. And also the Chargers are staying put. They're going to stay in San Diego. They're not going to use their out clause that they have. They will play in San Diego in 2009. Nice. So that's good news. We got Larry Fitzgerald talking about how he is going to restructure his contract, or he's willing to, if that will help keep Anquan Bolden. How about that, Ashley? What a nice guy. He's a hero too, everybody. Ashley enjoys her some Larry Fitzgerald. Yes. I love you. Heinz Ward missed the Steelers' first practice for the Super Bowl, but he says, don't worry, I'm still going to play on Sunday. Just being cautious here. Now, this is a fantastic story out of the Super Bowl.
Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes admits to selling drugs in his youth. What? Whoa. Not sure why. He needed to tell the world's biggest stage that, but he came out and said, yeah, I used to sell drugs when I was a kid. Oh, you're so hard. Well, wait. Was there a sort of, you know, like a moral to the story? Kind of. You know, the kids can see what I've turned out to be. If they sell drugs, they'll be professional football players too. That's a good necessary. Well, what if he's turning a negative into a positive? Not necessary. I don't know. Not necessary. Well, it's just a strange platform to do that in. Yeah. And on the Super Bowl is the biggest stage there is. Yeah. So I don't know if this is the right time to do that. There's a time and a place, Eddie. I don't know. I like that everybody's watching. And if he turned it into a positive message, I wouldn't want him to just go.
Yeah, guess what? I used to sell drugs when I was a kid. Anyway, next question. Right. You know, but isn't there something to be said for him to say, you know, I came from hard times. I did some things I wasn't proud of and worked really hard and got where I am today versus saying I used to sell drugs. Exactly. You know what I mean? There's a difference. There's a big difference. That's interesting. Maybe. Maybe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I see what Ashley's saying. You say, hey, listen, I've had some tough stuff happen in my life, but. I turned it around. But doesn't the media at that point go, well, what kind of tough stuff? Yeah, yeah. Well, why is it bad to say the truth? Because like Ashley was saying, it's like going to tell kids that, you know, you can start off selling drugs and then you can work up to this. Yeah, it didn't sound like he had a message behind it. It sounded like he was just saying. No, he had a message behind it. What was the message? exactly that that if you know i can do it if i can get off you know selling drugs and stuff like that and make something of myself and so can you oh i think that's really good for kids to hear i think if he's like doing like a scared straight program and talking to kids in like juvie like that's one thing that's okay because you're directing that message to who it applies to but you have all these kids who like are wannabe thugs
And they hear him talking about how he used to sell drugs. Yeah. Well, I think that's different. It is. If you, it's all you say, but he's telling these kids, it could be out there right now in drugs, hearing him say, I turned it around. I stopped doing that. It hits them right where they're living. Yeah. I mean, if he said that, then I'm, if he's all, I like it, the script club. If he said that, I would say, forget it. What is your problem? I like it, the script club. I know it all. No, no. That's the one I'm saying. Wait, what did he say? He says he likes the strip. He meant the strip. That's different. Came out sounding different. That's different. We get it. That's different. We get it. Now, this is a crazy story out of the boxing world. You know how we were just talking a couple days ago about the Sugar Shane Mosley-Antonio Margarito fight? Yeah. Well, Margarito had his license temporarily suspended by the California State Athletic Commission because They're investigating this plaster-like substance that was on his hand wraps that they discovered before the fight. So, wait. You mean when they, like, tape your hands up? When they tape their hands up, you know, they have the athletic commission come and they look at their hands and make sure there's no, like, horseshoes or anything in there.
Actually, get my dad on the phone. That would be awesome if there was an actual horseshoe. You never know. You never know. They're like, um, excuse me. What's this, sir? Hey, listen, I ride a horse here. No, no, no. So apparently they found like a substance that's like plastered that like hardened. Shady. Yeah. Oh, that's bad. They made him cut off the wraps and rewrap it with a guy standing there watching him. But they made them say, well. How do we know that he hasn't done this in his other fights? Oh, dude. Yeah, so it could be really bad for him. And can't you, like, really hurt somebody bad? Oh, my gosh, dude. Yeah, why don't you just tape a brick to your knuckles? Yeah, concrete on your hands and you're punching a guy. It gives you a little bit of an advantage. Just a little bit. Yeah. That is so crazy. Listen, if I was ever a boxer, I would demand that my opponent use memory foam in his gloves so that when you get hit, it's like getting hit with a pillow. Like a cloud. Why not just change boxing into pillow fights? They both wear Snuggies. Well, your hands are free.
Snuggies and memory foam on their hands. That is not good. It's funny because in boxing, you hear some of this stuff happening. I remember back in the day, I think it was a Holyfield fight, where he couldn't see out of his eyes anymore. They were claiming that the guy put something on his gloves, almost like a mace substance. When he would punch him in the face, his eyes would burn. And so, you know, you hear about crazy stuff like this or like soaking the gloves in water. You know, when they're in the corner, you put the glove in water, make it a lot heavier. Oh, dude. I mean, could there be any reasonable explanation for this? No. No, if you put anything other than tape on your hands, you're doing something shady. Like it's not that he sweated and it changed the, like there's no way. Because everybody sweats. It turns into plaster. Oh, I don't know. No, that's bad. Your hand turns into an anvil. No kidding. Ah, sweaty hands. Sorry. Oh, man. Ashley, you ready? The Mikey Show now presents Ashley's Fitzgerald Facts. I believe I'm ready, Mike. Oh, boy. Here we go. I was born ready. You know what I'm saying? Ashley really loves Larry Fitzgerald from the Arizona Cardinals, number 11. He's really good, Mike. Yeah. And so she supports him.
and she's taken a liking to him. How can Rob say, eh, I don't say anything about your guy, and I think he's a great player. He's the best wide receiver in football. Why do you hate on someone who's good? He's not Malcolm Floyd, but he's not Randy Moss. Get out of here with that. Thank God he's not Randy Moss. I'm so sorry. Let me hear your Larry Fitzgerald fact. Okay, well. What do you got? Any day now. Oh, no. This is a bad one. What's going on with these two? I don't know. Can you guys please make up? I'm trying to, but... Be nice to your sister. Be nice to her. And be nice to your brother, will you? I didn't do anything. I know, but you're getting punished. That's how it works. It's got to be fair. I'll pull this car over. We'll go home. You still want to go to Disneyland, you two? I do. I do. It burned down. Then are you going to stop? Are you going to stop teasing your sister? I promise. Okay.
And he had his fingers crossed. Your sister's about to give us a Larry Fitzgerald fact. I'm excited. Larry Fitzgerald's number 11 on the Super Bowl. Oh, man. Look at what you've done, Rob. You've ruined it. Here, I'm going to get her back in the mode. And start fresh. Start fresh. She's taking her jacket off. She needs to. Yes, because of those pits. She's about to drown. Go ahead, Ash. Mike, I'll turn this car around, and I'm not kidding. I'm sorry. Okay, then are you going to do it again? No, I'm not. I promise. Wait, are you telling yourself? Yeah, but I was sad. Ashley, take it away. Okay, Mike. All right, for the listeners that don't know that want to know, Larry Fitzgerald, number 11 on the Cardinals, taking them to the Super Bowl. Has done a lot of charity work in the past, Mike, because he's a good man. What did he do? Including supporting the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, which was established in honor of his mom, who passed away in 2003 as a result of breast cancer. It's one of the charities that he participated in. That's a very sad fact. Well, he's a good person, you know, and my mom has had breast cancer, my grandma, so, I mean, I just relate to that. That's a good fact. And then he told me personally that when he farts in the jacuzzi, it sounds like two of the three tenors.
Mike. Mike. You're telling me. Wait, excuse me. Mike. You're telling me that Larry Fitzgerald personally told you. He told me personally. That when he farts in the jacuzzi, it sounds like two of the three tenors. Yes. Mike. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. I don't know. Why is that stupid? That's what he told her. How is she responsible for that? How is she responsible for what he tells her? Oh, really? It's not my fault. Really? There is another person that does some charity work. And so if I may do Boston Rob! point of interest. Interest, interest, interest. Ah, the effects have been just getting so much better since I started. Well, this hard-hitting, serendipitous Samoan. Okay. We're running out of S-words. Hard-hitting, serendipitous Samoan.
Shouldn't we have an S-word that works? That does work. Oh, Mike. Wikipedia it, pal. Geez. Well, he's been collecting hairs from his comb to build a sender. How many hairs with the combs? Hair. Every day, his hairs from his combs. It's always the hairs. Builds a freaking village for opening. He's so bitter. And then the next day, his hairs from his combs. Excuse me. Built a library. Excuse me. No. That was fingernails. He can't hide the box, bro. He saved his fingernails. I know that you just found your facts when we were in the break. We haven't even heard the fact yet. Can we let him finish? Are you done? Yeah. Is she done? Yes. Oh, am I done? I don't know. Am I done? I don't know. And you're not going to threaten me. You guys want me to pull this car over? Your mother says she's mad. Can we just keep driving? I mean, you always favor our daughter. You always favor her and let her get away with things. Ashley, you're grounded. What? So he's been collecting all these. He's been collecting all these. He's been collecting all these hairs. Didn't you move out already? Yeah. She's 25 years old, still living at home. We're taking her to Disneyland. What's the matter with this picture? It's time to nurse. I thought we were just playing roles. I'm the baby. I'm the baby. Mike, I'm the baby. No, you're not. I'm playing the baby. You are gross, dude. So it tickles a little. Okay, I think we should stop role-playing and get back to Rob's back. I would like that.
What is your polymer? Tell me something about the serendipitous Samoan. Okay. Oh, where was I? So he's building this center to cure kids with odontophobia, which is a fear of teeth. This guy. This Rob. Awesome. I know. It's a charity work this guy does. Thanks, Rob. That was great. What was that, Eddie? I'm so sorry. You tell me. We took time for that. You tell me. Let it resonate. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to Sleep Train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest World Class Paris Plush, but it was out of my budget. which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. Two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man. My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris.

to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. Well, the ride's improving out here. We're looking at better-looking speeds. There was an earlier car fire. A fire crew's still on the scene, just kind of mopping things up here in the South 15 at Center City Parkway. Doesn't seem to be affecting your ride too much. Just keep an eye out for them if you're heading that direction. A little farther south, you're going to find that heavy backup still from Camino Norte down in towards Poway. This coaster ride's looking a lot better on the southbound side of the 5. Just a brief delay near Solana Beach. No worries out of the east county, the westbound 8, the 5294, all good to go into the city. And 505 northbound out of the south bay. You're moving right along. Your 805 has just a minor slowdown right around Governor Drive, and then you're back up to speed there. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. We got a lot of emails and text messages this morning about blowfish testicles. Oh, good. Because there was seven people that were nearly killed in Japan because they ate them. You have to know what you're doing when you're dealing with blowfish. I cannot emphasize this enough.
It is my cause. I have made this into an issue here on the Mikey Show for years. But you must be careful. You must be careful. You've made an issue. Yes. When you are eating the blowfish testes. And I cannot stress this enough. Never, ever, ever prepare your own blowfish testicles. It's the first time I've heard you say that. Thank you, Eddie. Who's a germaphobe? Who's got nothing to say? Yeah. So if you think you're in the nudio show. Yeah. Here is the deal. P1 Trivia is easy enough. The idea with P1 Trivia is that you call us and you're going to answer trivia questions about the Mikey Show. Now, it's a little different today because usually we do it on Monday and you come in on Friday. Today we're doing it Thursday. You come in tomorrow. Wow. So if you're available. Oh, mama. What a turnaround, huh? Oh, mama. If you're available, do it. Come on in here. Call us now, but only if you are available tomorrow. You are? I got work. But you can't play because you're on the show. I got work. You're a showist. My boss would not let me. I am a showist. Oh, thank you. Boss is a stickler. Guy, I will not let you use that. Use what?
The fajitas. I don't know what you're talking about. Thank you, Mikey. Thank you, Mr. McCain. What you got there, that's all crinkly. Can you please stop doing that? I'm scratching my ear. No, that's not it. We're not. We're not. Put the potato chips down, sir. They're making a ruckus. We're on the radio. Rob got me cherry-flavored Halls. Cherries Jubilee. And that's it. And that is it. All right, Cherries Jubilee, and that's it. Finally. The way that we play P1 trivia. You call, and you've got to get the five points. You get to pick a one, two, or three-point question. How do we not have any more throat coat? How is it possible? I don't know, dude. You eat it every day. Yeah, you were drinking it like mad. I was? Yeah. Remember when Zeth was here? Oh, shoot it, test it, test it. He'd make that for Mike every day. P1 Kung Fu. I miss him. Hello. How are you doing? Good. Good to have you on the show. Thank you. Kung Fu, how old are you? I'm 32.
And how long have you been listening? Six months. I'm a baby P1. All right. Wow. That's cool. All right. We have competition for you already. P1, no one. What's going on, man? How you doing? Good morning. It's an honor. No one. How old are you? 33. And how long have you been listening? As much as I can in the mornings. Since about, what, right around the ground in the morning. Four years? Almost. Since June 2004. Ooh. You're my hero. Four years? Okay, I'm going to tell you right now, Kung Fu, you have a long road to hoe. Oh, she's fine, Mike. Don't you call her a hoe. I didn't. That is rude. She is a lady. It's a pro hoe. She is a lady. Whoa. Stop it. Eddie. What? Are you ready, Kung Fu? I am. You will begin. I will take a two, please. You want a two-pointer? Mm-hmm. Who on the show got a new cat? Oh, too easy. That's Skye and his baby Dito. Oh, baby Dito. Oh, baby Dito's driving me crazy. Put it in the microwave. That is strange. Rob. Do not. You don't say things like that about animals. Do not. Give it blowfish testicles. Kung Fu, you have two points. P1, no one. So loud, Rob. Yes, sir. One, two, or three-point question.
Let's just go all out and go three. What person on the show once had the results of a paternity test revealed on the air? That is correct. There's a kid doing, by the way. You know what we need? We need the winner buzzer and the loser buzzer. Don't have it. Too soon. Too soon. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I have a winner thing I can do. I'll do the loser roll. Oh, no. Do that. Kung Fu? Let's wrap it up with the three. Three-pointer. These people are crazy. What show member recently had... Oh, no. Too soon. Can't read that one. This is a tough one. How many siblings...
How many siblings does Ashley have? He has two. That is correct. That is amazing. She's good. Kung Fu. You are amazing. She's good. You are testicles. Kung Fu, you won. Sky. What? Was it Sky that just said that? Yes. Like the bee's knees and the cat's meow. You have the blowfish testicles. Hang on the line, will you? No one in Kung Fu. No one. You get to come in, too. Right on, man. Hang on. There you go. Hang on. Oh, that was awesome. Now we just have to give them information on how to get here. So we'll leave that up to P1 Quimby. Oh, my gosh. I'm handling it. You're handling it? I'm handling her. You're handling it. You keep her handled, buddy. You're engaged, man. That's right. Stop it. Grow up. Everybody calm down. Hey. Whoa. You guys are out of control. You know, the Mikey Minute.
is available at MikeyShow.com and Ashley films it. Every single day after the show, she recaps the show. It's a thing called the Mikey Minute. You can watch it. Also, she's got the Mikey After. The Mikey Show Blip. The Mikey Show Blip. She also has the Ashley After Show. There it is. You can find it at the same place that you find the Mikey Minute. It's great. It's great. It's so great. What is the Mikey After Show or the Ashley After Show? Oh, man. It's where Ashley takes somebody from the show aside and she asks them about the show. How did it go today? Really important question. Yeah. About really important things. Yeah. It's pretty bad. Dot, dot, dot. 570-1053 is our phone number if you want it. Man, they are talking about this. Jessica Simpson. Yeah, right? They're talking about it a lot, man. It's on CNN. It's on...
So Jessica Simpson put on a couple of pounds, man. She's always been curvy. Yeah, but these pants, dude. Oh, they were the worst. Hey, let it go. Let it go, man. Well, they're straight up blue light special, you know, like Kmart, what you would expect at Kmart from a few years back. Like not from 2008, like Kmart 1982. That's Skye's wardrobe. Yeah. That's the style now. That's what I'm saying. That's rude. I don't mean it in a bad way. How did you mean it? Yeah, when you said it's like Skye's wardrobe. Well, she wears like the mom shorts. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I have one pair of what you guys consider mom shorts. You know, they're the shorts. I'm sorry my cheeks don't hang out, okay? I'm sorry. Well, Skye, but the shorts, they kind of go down to your, you know, they go down low. They go to the mid-thigh. They come up below, too. Right below her breasts. They are not. The waist is right below her breasts. They are not. They are not. They are not. They are. And then they're cinched, you know. What's the brand? Do you know? She tucks them in? I don't know, but they have like, you know, elastic around the waist. You know what I'm saying? My mom used to wear Claiborne. Claiborne? Claiborne. Yes, Liz Claiborne. Liz Claiborne. Claiborne. I knew what she meant. Claiborne. It's called Claiborne, and I've got a pair on now. What do you think I'm rocking? What do you think I'm sporting here? Grow up.
Take a look at these babies. Yeah, how do you like this? Fod pants, okay? Fod pants. All right. The waist comes up right under the boobs. Yeah. And then the bottom of the shorts hits you right at the knees. When you're bending down doing laundry and gardening, all your fun chores. I don't have shorts like that. Yes, you do. I do not. Yes, you do. They come mid-thigh. They come mid-thigh. Yes, you do. They come mid-thigh. And the genes are the same that Jessica Simpson has. Poor Jessica Simpson. She's gorgeous. Leave her alone. They're really all over her body. It's awful. Let it go. We're in a recession, bro. Yeah, please. Bigger fish to fry. Let her eat her freaking hamburger. Leave her alone. We're in a recession already. I mean, don't we have other things we should be doing? Seriously. My goodness. I agree, Ashley. I just put the Sean board up. I can use the Sean board, I guess, if we wanted to. I don't know what that is. Space Boy sent it to me. Let's see. It's not working for me. How's it working? Oh, wait, wait, wait. Are you plugged in? I didn't even have it turned on, dude. You dialed up. Awesome. There we go. Okay, calm down. Whoa. Shut up. Oh, boy. Now we're working. This is pathetic. How do you like that? That was Simon Cowell. Mm-hmm. Oh, you're going to have to call him. Just like the old days, right? Call him.
It's just like the old days. Okay, so we talked about the Super Bowl. Okay, so they can't sell the ads, man, not like they used to. Really? Well, they're selling them, but not like they used to. Wow. Yeah, it's weird. They said, you know, they did sell a lot of the advertising space last spring, and so people were already in contracts for that, but they said they'd only been able to sell 12 of the Super Bowl's 67 spots for the original. Oh, yeah, because. Budweiser and Pepsi, they're really hurting right now. Yeah. Well, you know what it comes down to, right? Get out of here. It must come down to profit. Is that the deal? Like, it's their profit margin. Because nobody wants to buy it, because people aren't buying it like they used to, they're not meeting their same... Profit margin. Yeah, because the original asking price was $3 million for a 60-second commercial. So they only were able to sell 12 at that price and I guess are negotiating lower prices for the rest of them. And they say there's actually still unsold tickets for the Super Bowl as of this morning. Wow. Are you serious? Oh, man. That's crazy, man. That is hilarious. How is that even a possibility? It's the Super Bowl. Sky, it's the Super Bowl.
Please. I just read that. I don't know. I mean, I don't care. Is it going to black it out? I don't really. It'll be blacked out. You're going to sell out all the tickets. It's crazy. Thank you. Oh, yes. That's crazy. Speaking of the economy and all that stuff, I think Togo's quality went down. Not even possible. What? Dude. I had Togo's last week and it was great. Had it yesterday. What's the matter with it? Didn't dig it. Why? I thought that the quality, I got a pastrami and I was like, like the pastrami to me, it was like different. Wasn't the same. And last week it was delicious. What'd you get? What does he always get? No, no. Oh, no. What? What'd you do? They have specialty sandwiches called one is called the Pacific Cobb. And I get that almost exclusively. I've had that, but they only have it on Wednesday. They only have it on Wednesday. Incorrect, Ashley. What is that? They now sell the specialty sandwiches every day of the week. Get out! What is that? I will explain. He doesn't tell you right now. It smells like horse. It does not smell like horse, and I don't appreciate you. What does it smell like? The Togo's people don't appreciate you saying that. I don't care for that. I love it. They're my favorite place. It's delicious. I love Togo. I was upset yesterday. I love it. I do. I almost cried. It is, I believe, like roast beef. No, not roast beef. Ham. Sky. Sky's in.
turkey, avocado, tomato, baby greens, not that shredded lettuce, which makes it mwah, like a gourmet sandwich. Yeah, it's the money lettuce. Now, it comes with blue cheese dressing, which I say no thank you to. But that's the best part. And I add mayo mustard on the sandwich. Yeah. Because I like my sandwich. Like I like my sandwich. That's right. I've heard that about you. It's a beautiful sandwich. I love it. Didn't enjoy mine yesterday. You got the wrong thing. No way. Dude, I get it every time. I always get the same thing. You get the number nine, the hot pastrami? I get the pastrami Reuben. Same location every time? Awesome. Thousand Island Dressing, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Yeah, dude. Pastrami, but I think the pastrami quality was... Give it another chance. Slipping. You got to give it another chance. It was a mistake. You got the butt end of it. Could it be? It could be. Maybe it is. They're great. All right, I'll try it again. You never know. Things are crazy right now. Let's do it today. Starbucks, not brewing decaf afternoon. You have to specifically ask for it now. Really? Mm-hmm.
That was killing them? Yeah, they would always keep a thing of regular and decaf, you know, ready to go. And now they will stop brewing the decaf afternoon unless you specifically request it. Dude, home expo center, completely closing down. Never even heard of it. Are they really? Yes, they're shutting all their locations. Eddie, you never heard of that expo? That home expo? They got one in that Encinitas. Isn't it like Home Depot on Roids? No, it's like the design center for Home Depot. There's one right around the corner from here. Yeah, they're closing it, bro. Yeah, I don't mind. Hopefully there'll be some good sales. I was never rich enough to go in there. Now I have the correcting and the incorrect buzzer. Well, that doesn't matter. I don't know about that one. We'll have to get another one. Thank you. Thank you very much. Like, no point for that. No, I'm just trying to figure it out. I'm just trying to figure it out. Yeah, you're just playing. I am. I'll be honest with you. I was playing with it. You're being weird now. Okay, so stop. Hey. Hey. Bart Simpson, the voice of Bart Simpson. Did you know that that, well, first of all, did you know that was a chick? Yeah, dude. I found out when I was like 13. Shocked. Cartwright? Is that her name? Something Cartwright? Nancy. Yep. Nancy Cartwright? Rock. She is Scientologist. Did you know that? Get out of here with that. Well, dude.
So there's this big talk now because she did the voice of Bart Simpson for an official Scientology thing. Oh, that's crazy. Dude, I have the audio. You do? I have the audio. When we come back. Back to Mikey. I text a lot, but I'm the farthest thing from him. Eddie. I gotta tell you, like, the older I get, the more and more I become into, like, history stuff. Sky. Um, you know, your friend's a little sensitive and isn't a big fan of violence. Boston Rob. I watch a lot of Food Network lately, and it's mostly because of you. And Ashley. I love my bangs, and they grow out so freaking fast. Save that clip. I know, save that clip. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Yes. Oh, yeah, because I can't find it. Where is Mike? So the Rob show is just in public. The Rob show. So we went to break. We were talking about this Scientology thing. Well, yeah, we were going to start the Mikey Show 360. Oh, holy macaroni. I don't know where Mikey put all my stuff. Your stuff. This guy. Your stuff. Oh, Ashley's so irritated right now. Yeah. Whatever. The Robbie Show 360. We're about to do that. Yeah. I am trying to find it. I'd rather wait for Mike to get back. Mike's back. Oh, cry me, River. Oh, too bad. Oh, I can dish it, but I can't take it. Oh, wow. But I'm dishing it right now. What did I miss? What did I miss? What did I miss? What's the problem? Oh, you missed Rob singing along to this song. Yeah. More like humming. It was awesome. And then him and Ashley started to fight. Yeah, it was really interesting, Mike. It's very compelling. Just the usual.
They need to go to counseling together. Yeah. They fight a lot. Just break up. Yeah, why don't you guys break up? It's not working. I would rather him just leave me alone. Why isn't it funny? Good point. What happened there? Somebody used the unisex bathroom for two instead of one. Messed up, Mike. I do it all the time. Eddie, why? It's so comforting in there. Comforting. I don't have to share with anybody. Have you no shame? What do you mean? I have nothing but shame. I'm Catholic. Aren't you worried that you walk out of there while someone, you know, they're walking and they know what you just did? It's a bathroom, bro. What do you think is going on in there? I'm not making appetizers. No, you're not. I know. Some may. I know what you're doing, but I don't have to be. Enjoy. I don't want to enjoy it. You should. And that's the thing, too. When I leave there, I feel like it's all over my clothes. It ain't like I leave the door open, Mike. Eddie, why are you thumbing over to Skye? Oh. Does she do that? I don't do that in public places. I only do that at home. Surprises me. Oh, man. Skye, you're not embarrassed that everyone will know in the house? Everyone. Okay, your husband. My cats.
Well, he's not like loitering outside the doorway. What if he passes by and doesn't know you're in there? Yeah. Or... Well, he kind of jumps a little. What if he... He does. He does. That's so gross. Oh, my gosh. And that's what's going on. And she's okay with that. Dude. I'm sitting there with a magazine. Let me tell you. Wow. I mean, dude, I would say, babe, please shut the door. You know, this is not a barn. This isn't the Wild West, ladies. You're not pooping outdoors. Well, I've started to compromise and kind of shut the door halfway. What? That's your compromise? That's real nice of you. But the cats always come and push it open and then come in. How come you want it open? I don't want it open. Well...
You do want it open. The next step is outdoors, by the way. I want to share. Well, I don't want to close it, but... Everybody, enjoy my love. Yes. But it doesn't have to be open, but the cats always want to get in there, and so they always will scratch at the door and then push it open. What do you care with those cats now, you know? Well, they want to be near me. You're just going to give them everything they need. They want to be near me. So let them in, then shut the door. They want to enjoy. But then they want out. They don't care for shut doors. Oh, man. They want to be on whatever side of the shed door they're not on. See, I let Sammy sit on my lap. While you're going to the bathroom? Ash. Yeah, I've done that with the cats. You know you're on the radio? Do you know you're on the radio? I've done that with the cats. Yeah. You guys are weird. You two are animals. You're animals. Filthy. Filthy. What's up? Why do you do that? It's unnecessary. She likes to be with me everywhere I go. Let me just tell you something. Even if I use the restroom, she wants to be on my lap and I let her. Mike. I pet her. No wonder it has all those infections. Hey. Hey. Uncalled for, not true. It's not sanitary. It's not sanitary. Please, it isn't. You guys know it. We're not the only ones. Don't you judge us. What does that mean? I am judging you.
plenty of P1s out there who go to the bathroom and let their pet sit on their lap while they do it. And they'd be lying if they said they didn't. Fine, but that doesn't make it right. It's weird. It's not weird. It's unnecessary behavior. What? Come on. It's just a weird thing to do. It's not. Opposite. It's the opposite of that. Where are you guys? You don't get it. 570-1053. You want to hear Bart Simpson and the Scientology? Oh, yeah. Hey, what's happening, man? This is Bart Simpson. Don't hang up. This is Nancy Cartwright, and this is a very special phone call to you. I'm now auditing on new OT7, and I've been asked to speak at the Flag World Tour event on January 31st in the Grand Ballroom at the Hollywood and Highland Center at 6.30 p.m. It's going to be a blast, man. I will be there to share my many wins as a Solonauts auditor.
and to see the golden era film presentation of Flag, the mecca of technical perfection. I hope you can make it, man. So, Sky, what the hell? So, apparently Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, is Scientologist. Right. Okay, now, what's a big whoop? That sounds like that was meant for people in Scientology. Yeah, but she doesn't own the rights to that voice, you know? Fox and The Simpsons, that's like their property, and she's using it to promote Scientology, and they don't get involved with that stuff. She doesn't own the rights to her own voice. Unless it's Butterfinger, Bart Simpson is not allowed to comment on it outside of the show. Really? So, yeah, the producers of The Simpsons are not happy and have denied any involvement with said voicemail. And is she in trouble? Like, are they going to do anything about it, or are they just saying, don't do it again? I don't know. As far as I read, they're just not happy with it, and they're making sure that people are clear there's a separation. The crazy part is Krusty the Clown is Muslim. That's what's so weird. That's asking for trouble. That's the crazy part. He's really going overboard with this commentary. I feel ya. P1 Mish is on the line. Yeah, hi. What's up? What's up, dude? What's going on?
I just wanted to say that when I'm sitting on a toilet, my cat always sits on my lap for some reason. You have your cat do it too? Yeah, for some reason. I'll sit there, I'll be sitting there doing my thing, and then he'll put his claws on my knees, and when I sit back, he just hops up there and curls up and hangs out. I have a duty. You can pick him up and put him off you. But he wants to be there. I don't care. I'll push him off when I'm done. Well, of course, dude. I mean, we're not animals. Yeah, please. That would be gross. Yeah. So, of course, you get him off. I'm going to call the police on you people. No. There's something wrong with you. No, everybody does it. Everybody doesn't do it. Everybody does not do it. Everybody does not do it. P1, blood donor. That's right. Blood donor here. Yes, cats on laps while you're on the toilet. Perfectly fine. Not perfectly fine. See, I told you. You cat-loving whore. I told you I'm not a whore. I think that's a weird thing to do. Yeah, that's bizarre, bro. Thank you. Thank you. See, it's normal. It isn't normal. It is. Because two people agree with you makes it normal. I'm sorry. I'm sorry we don't all drive to the gas station to go number two. She kind of got me there, though. Okay, I'm sorry that we're comfortable going number two in our own homes. With the door open? With our cat on our lap. Mikey show.
Yeah, if you want that. For the record, I'd rather you drive to the gas station and leave the door open. Go ahead. Yeah, I just had a comment for those producers with the Simpsons. They just need to not have a cow, man. To not have a what? Yeah, that's the problem. Don't have a cow, man. She's a female. No, he's doing it. Don't have a cow, man. He's doing it. You get it? Oh, there it is. Thank you. Am I missing anything? I'm exhausted. Dude, guess who they want to play Bonnie in the Bonnie and Clyde remake? Jessica Tandy. No. Baby Jessica. She's old. Really? Not Baby Jessica. She's not a movie star. She's old. Janet Jackson. No, no, no. Bonnie and Clyde. They need her to be young Bonnie. Yeah. Bonnie Franklin. Christina Ricci. Because her name's Bonnie. Wrong. Not her. Not Bonnie Hunt.
Not Bonnie Hunt. It's all the Bonnies I know. Wedding Crashers. Isla. Isla McAdams. Yep, that's it. Now they want Hilary Duff. Okay, Mike. That's a funny joke now. Can you do the real one now? In the new Bonnie and Clyde remake. Ew. It's a real story. Why not Miley Cyrus? She's already signed on. It's all ready to go. That's nuts. Everybody hates Hilary Duff. No one hates Hilary. Why do people hate Hilary Duff? She doesn't really see Hilary Duff. I love her. Have you seen Material Girls with Hillary and Hayley Duff? Don't throw anything at me. I kind of don't blame you. Remember their father owns a huge cosmetic corporation and then he dies and then they have to run it. No, we don't remember. No? No. Say it again. Remember? I'll stab you. He means it. He means it. Okay. Well, anyway, I think that's a weird choice. That's the stupidest choice in the world. Okay. Doesn't make sense. In the world. Now we're all judging things, and that's not right. I'm tired of you. Let's see. Oh, Mike. So you think you can dance is going to do auditions in L.A.? Ashley. Yes. Come on, Ash. I love it. Try out. No, I'm not ready. Well, you've got to work at your craft, man. I'm not ready.
I would love to, though. They're going to be Thursday, February 12th in L.A. Give Ashley that Beyonce single lady song. Let's see what she can do. Come on, Ash. You can work this. That's not the song, first of all. What's the matter with this song? I mean, it's a great song. What did you say? Beyonce single lady. Right. Now you got it. Now you can get it. Come on, Ash. Mary. Come on. I'm in no mood. I'm sorry. Did Rob ruin it? Well, he gets in her head, apparently. Like, he's able to, of all people, Rob is able to just wreck it, you know? Eddie's still doing the single ladies dance. He really wants you to be a part of it, Ash. I'm sorry. How does Eddie know the whole dance? No, but somebody tell Rob to lay off. He watches a lot of MTV. I'm one of the dancers. I'm one of the dancers.
That's nice. Well, so February 12th. Why does it seem dancing? Because leave her alone. Leave her alone. Leave her alone. I'm in no mood. I'm sorry. I am such a bad person. I am a horrible person. Go in there and ask her to dance. Absolutely not. Go in there and apologize to her then. I will not do that either. You will not. I will not. These kids, man. I refuse. How is it that she is so affected by him? I don't know. I don't either. He's an idiot. Yeah. I mean, you realize you're dealing with an idiot, right? I'm talking to you, Rob. No, Rob. I mean, Ashley. Ashley. Ashley. I'm trying to make something fun happen here. Hey, you be nice to my friend. I'm trying to make something fun. Whoa! Leave her alone. Thank you. Say you're sorry to her, will you? So we can move on. I didn't do anything. If you genuinely don't think you did anything wrong, then I don't want to hear an apology. I genuinely didn't, so I'm not going to apologize. But that's good to know. But that's really good to know. Yeah. I'll just remember that. I don't know. I don't know why they get so upset with each other. Oh, I love it. Why do you love it? Because it's funny. But our friends are not getting along right now. That's the best. No, we want them to get along because they're our friends. Yeah. Overrated? I've never understood why they get so mad. It's always tomorrow. Okay. Oh, shoot. Yeah, exactly. We can't. It's not. It's just I hate it when it happens because it's not any fun. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. No. We said it doesn't sound like fun. That's fun. No, it's not fun. Well, that'll be fun. It's not.
I'm uncomfortable. Do something to break the silence in. Anybody? That's ridiculous, dude. That's ridiculous. And I have to go into right now, like immediately, I got to tell you about Frogs Fitness. It's going to be awesome. Immediately. How's that going to work? I'll just tell you. I love Frogs Fitness. That's cool. I work out there and they have flat screen TVs. Do they have friends there? They do. I bet. Okay, Rob works out all the time. Yeah. I say... Yeah. Since when? Oh, no. Not this again. I bet that sounds like fun. Oh, jeez. You've never told me that that hurts your feelings in the past, so I wouldn't have known. I'll never do it again, though, Rob. Please. I think I got a message. I think I just... I think I hear what she's putting down. I just picked up what she's putting... And if I did do it again accidentally, I for sure would apologize, because I didn't mean to. Uh-oh. Don't chase me, bro! She's gonna.
But anyways. Anybody like green beans? I do when you put like some bacon and almonds on them. Guys. Guys. Shut your mouth. This isn't about us right now. It's not. Sorry. Come on now. Let me tell you about frogs. Why are we doing this right now? It's a good idea because listen. What's up? Flat screen TVs. You're supposed to do that in the commercial. No, no. This is fine. Listen. Mike. You got flat screen TVs, okay? Yeah. You have... Are you still there? Yes, we are. We're here. We'll be here all morning. Listen to me. Listen to me. Yes, Mike. They have these things where you can like, you know, they have the little sanitizers right there on the wall. You just press them, rub them on your hands, you get all good. It's the little things, Mike. It's those things that I love. Yeah. TVs, the sanitizers, the fact that it's all clean in there. Friends. Yeah, you've got friends. Anytime you can walk in there, you can see Rob and Ash. They're on treadmills holding hands. I've seen that before. Walk in there together holding hands while they do that. The machines aren't even on. That's the really weird one. Hello? Who's the man? Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome.

And so it's a little delayed. Thank you, Dark Helmet. You're welcome. Appreciate it. And we are known as KIOZ San Diego Kia. Yeah. I just can't stress enough how you have to be careful of blowfish testicles. I just can't stress it enough. Please, please. When you're swimming. Yes. They need to be prepared properly. When you are swimming, be careful of them. If you happen to consume them while you're swimming, be careful. Fresher the better. Yeah. Seven people were almost killed in Japan eating them. It happens. You need a license to do that. Anybody see the U-Haul high-speed chase? On the news. Yeah, I saw a little bit of that. This is a chick. Mm-hmm. This is a chick. Yeah.
Driving. Like driving a U-Haul? Yeah. But how often do you see high-speed chases? It turns out it's a chick. It's usually always aggro guys. Yeah. A couple times. You have not. I watch a lot of reality TV. You've seen high-speed chases involving women? Yeah, yeah. I got this Fox reality channel. I think that's just what it's called. Yeah. So all they do all day long is play different high-speed chases. So it's been a couple times. I've never seen it. And I saw this on the news yesterday while it was happening, but didn't watch it to its conclusion. Which, by the way, just goes to show you what kind of society we're in now. Because it used to be that back in the day, you couldn't take your eyes off of it. If there was a high-speed chase on, you were like, whoa, high-speed chase. You're like calling your friends. Don't forget a slow speed. That's right. Sometimes those are good too, man. Okay. You know what I'm saying? Don't leave people out. Hey, Rob. No. Do you know an OJ, too? Because we need one. Oh, yeah, I do. Yeah, we're down one. Yeah, I do know an OJ. Yeah. Let me see if I can get him. Yeah. Hey, OJ. Oh, what's up, guys? Hey, what's up, man? Oh, no. Oh, man. That's right, dude. Yeah, I'm right here. Yeah. We had a slow speed chase one time on a 405. E.C. Cowley. Yeah, man. He was my best friend. All right. That dude was great, man. White Bronco. He drives real slow.
That's right. And nothing compares to the feeling. Well, rushing one time for $2,000. How many times? Bring that up. That felt good, too. Chopping people's heads off. No, no, no, no. That feels good, too. Getting away with murder. That's right. Feels good. I paid for USC, man. Yeah, that feels good. That's right. And for Buffalo. No, that was a... That was a rival. Different. I would chop UCLA's head off. Where's that broom? I'll chop a tent off. That's right. I'm really white. How does it feel being in jail now, though? It feels wonderful. What kind of question is that? Let's come over here. I get to catch up with all my friends. That's right. What's your problem? I'm sorry. I was just asking. So anyway, what happened, Skye? They finally, did she, they threw out the spike strip. Well, no, this went on for like, Over two hours. So it started in Palmdale yesterday when a cop tried to pull over this U-Haul truck and then went for two hours, ended up in Ventura where they believe that the U-Haul ran out of gas. And so the chick flings the door open on the driver's seat, jumps out, starts running, and then you see the cop do the same thing, start running after her, and he just tackles this blonde chick to the ground. It was a blonde chick. Just takes her out, yeah. Are you sure she wasn't running to get her couch to put in the U-Haul?
How do you know? Did anybody ask? Do we know the details? Why was she running? So she was arrested for possession of stolen vehicle, recklessly evading a peace officer, driving while under the influence of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor hit and run. That's a lot. She's probably going to get in trouble. Oh, wow. Let's see. How about this? How about it, Mike? Gordon Ramsay. Got a live cook-along TV specialty he's going to do. How does it work? Well, I guess they'll give you in advance the... shopping list or whatever and tell you all the ingredients and everything you need. So when the show starts, you will have everything in front of you that you're going to need to make this dish and he will walk you through all of it. So it's not like the stuff's already going to be pre-cut and pre-ready to go. You're going to cook a dish together. And it's a one-time special? Well, I guess they're trying it because it's based on a show he has in the UK called Cook Along. And so they're going to do it as a one-time special. They're very simple. They get right to the point.
See how it works here. What's a channel? Fox. Really? Yeah. Do we know what he's cooking? Let's see. A little Beaujolais. A little cream Beaujolais. A little Beaujolais. No, it doesn't say here. That sounds boring. Well, it depends. If you're cooking with him, it'd be cool. You're kind of busy, Mike. If you're not, then not so much. In order to get ratings, you have to have millions of people watching. So we're expecting millions of people. in their busy lives, to be going grocery shopping, to get the recipe that he's going to be making, and then be in front of your TV to be making it while he's making it? Did we say time or day? No. Because you've got to figure what time are people going to be able to watch it. We've got to be missing. Exactly. Eight o'clock at night, you already ate dinner. Look at some duck all orange. Eddie. What's up, baby? Come on. Who wants some? Who wants some? Some duck.
Oh, and then the ghetto. Who wants some? That was in the ghetto. That was very fancy. French ghetto. That's what I'm saying. It's my favorite kind of ghetto. 570-1053 is our phone number. Maxim has a list of the best TV shows from last year. What do we have? Scrubs. Lost. Oh, wow. Lost is not on the list. You're ridiculous. Crazy anatomy. And this is voted on by people who logged on to Maxim's website. Dudes. Okay. Spike. Someone Spike. What is that? What is that voice? What a UFC ultimate fighter. Yeah, ultimate fighter. UFC unleashed. Ultimate fighter. Top chef. Guy shows. The contender. Not Everyday Italian. America's Hardest Jobs. Tell me that's not your favorite show, Eddie. It should be. By the way, dude, have they turned Everyday Italian with Giada De Laurentiis into a straight up lingerie show? It's like a porno. It is. I love it. Dude, they have turned Everyday Italian. First of all, it's all shot in film. She's sitting on a couch and her boobs are like...
bursting out of the screen. And it's... Dude, it's so purposeful. Like, it's not even... Genius. It's not even like they're trying. Dude, they're not even trying to veil it. Well, they tried that with Barefoot Contessa. They didn't try it. They did, Mike. They did not. I watch a lot of that show. They didn't have a wide-niff lens. Well, they tried it with the 3D glasses. I see. And then Mario Batali did it, and that's like... Enough out of you. Give me an example. What's on the list? Number 10 is SNL, Saturday Night Live. Man vs. Wild. Yep. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. Number one. Nope. Fringe. What? Intervention. Fringe is number six. 24. And I'm asked. Football. Something football. Monday Night Football. CSI. Sunday Night Football. How I Met Your Mother. Oh, great show now. Three Men and a Baby. I guess a movie. Oh, yeah, it's a great movie. What are we talking about? Dancing at the Bars. Coyote Ugly. Again, a movie. What? Sports center stuff. Family Guy. The Simpsons. Give me another example. Number nine is Mad Men. What is that? I'm so over you. Come on, man. The View. Give me another example.
Number eight is The Daily Show slash Colbert Report. John and Kate plus eight. Just saw that. First time ever in my life yesterday. Boring. Boring. Oh, diners, drive-ins, and dives. Oh, yeah, dude. Man versus food. Man vs. Food. Oh, dude. Eddie, have you heard about... You watch that? I watch it. Man vs. Food. See the Boston one? No. I just heard about it, and so I just taped it. Did you see the Boston one? I asked. You're going to love it. I'm sorry that you're going to be a fan of it. I heard it's great. I heard it's great. It's interesting. Some of it is like... It's great. I can't believe that's that guy's job. I know. I could do some of that. Man vs. Food. He eats gigantic amounts of food or eats really hot food. I think I could do it. You could. Shut up. I know you could. Three sandwiches. Oh, what am I going to do? Yeah, but doesn't he also eat like eight pound hamburgers and stuff? Yeah, come on. That's crazy. That's crazy. You know, when you're wicked hungry, tell me about it. You and me would make that show. That guy would pound one of those down and then ask for fries. Yeah. Sean. Hey, wait. He's not on the list.
All right, what else? Read the rest. Number seven, 30 Rock. Number five, Dexter. Somebody's got a guess. P1 Champagne. Champagne. Where are they? Oh, I didn't hit the line. Champagne. Okay, and then they're not there. Oh, way to go. Number four, Terminator. The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Worst show ever. P1 Nick Knot. Oh, it's so good. It's not. What's your guess? You're snot. I got, how about two and a half men? I already said it. Three men and a baby. Look who's talking. Number three is The Office. Kramer vs. Kramer. And there was a tie for the number one show of 2008 between Chuck and Entourage. Thank you very much. Entourage is delish. Totally makes sense.
For those of you that are fans of the band Smashing Pumpkins. Oh, right here, baby. Space boy. Oh, yeah. They're going to debut a new song. Lightning crashes. In a Hyundai Super Bowl ad. It's not. Yeah. Oh, I take myself so seriously. Oh, I can't autograph your guitar. Yeah, yeah. Too busy doing Hyundai ads. Seriously. It's true, man. She's right. Please. I want to know what Space Boy thinks of that because he loves Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins, all that. Yeah, that song, I Alone. Will you stop naming non-Smashing Pumpkins songs, please? They seem like they're very smart. And a Hyundai ad? Yeah. Well, and back in March, March of last year, the Smashing Pumpkins. That was my favorite one. Back in March, the Pumpkins sued Virgin Records saying that they used Smashing Pumpkins' name and music in a promo campaign for Pepsi. Did they use that song, Runaround? Did they sing their song? All I can say is my life. It's called No Rain. Yeah, No Rain. That's a great song. It's my favorite one. Do they sing All Star?
Do they do their big hit single? It's my favorite. Ah, here he is. Here's Space Boy. Space Boy. What do you think of this, dude? A Hyundai Super Bowl ad. Do we know what song it is? It's their new one. It's actually going to debut their new song. I don't know if it's supposed to be full or F-O-L. I'm not sure. What do you think? Does that bother you? No, not at all. I think that Billy Corgan has definitely a new way of thinking about music. They're not going to be releasing albums anymore because nobody really buys CDs as much as they used to. But I love this song, My Life. You know what's going to happen? They're going to sell a gajillion copies of that single because they're going on there. It's like when people go on American Idol. Yeah, it's like when they put out Hey Jealousy. Oh, man. When they put that out, I was the first to buy that. Yeah, everybody was. All right, thank you. Thank you, Space Boy. Now, the pumpkin fans don't mind. You guys having fun? Yeah. Okay, good. I'm going to keep doing this all day. Oh, man. Back in the office, you know all the rest of the day, you're going to be like, hey, Eddie, my favorite Smashing Pumpkin song. Little Miss Can't Be Wrong. Little Miss Can't Be Wrong. Dude, that's my favorite one.
That was so good. That was a better one. Go, Billy, go. Get that note. Do Mr. Jones. Must be guys at the party. Smashing Pumpkins, do that song right here, right now, dude. That's my favorite one. Right here, right now. Counting new cars, do that one. Wow, this joke never gets along. Oh, my God. Gross. That is gross. I'm spitting phlegm. I thought it was something gross. Good thing you guys couldn't hear it with the cough button. That thing's so effective. It works real good. Fighting viruses. Yes, we don't have a phlegm button. 5701053, you can call about anything you want. Because at the end of the show and the beginning of the show, we do open phones. You can call about anything. Rob's got more. Do you have another Smashing Pumpkins song you love? I'm just wondering.
She Talks to Angels. I love that one. That's her slow one. It's so good. When Smashing Pump can slow it down when She Talks to Angels. You never mention the world. Billy really brings the house down. He does. P1 Butterfly. Yes. You got a charity you wanted to talk about? Yeah, Mikey, I was just calling in. I'm in the Navy, and I'm stationed here on North Island, and I've called in a couple times. But, hey, I was calling in for a co-worker, actually. She's a Navy, also a Navy single mom, and she's expecting her first baby here on February 16th. And she lives here on Cornot on the base, and we are currently helping her seek donations from the community for her apartment, anything like kitchenware, furniture, like basically anything that can be donated. So I was just calling to see if I could. Is she in need? Is she in need? Is she what? Is she in need? Well, the only thing she has in her apartment is basically an airbed. An airbed and a crib and just disposable plasticware. And we recently threw her a baby shower on Saturday. I think it was Sunday. I'm sorry. It was on Sunday. How do listeners help if they want? Well, they can call me at 619. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Okay.
You're about to give your phone number out on the radio. You realize that, right? Yeah, that's right. Okay, and so every person listening. Don't do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, every person. Does she know what she's going to do? Every person listening, you know, good or bad. Honey. Can call that phone number and call it at 3 o'clock in the morning. Don't do that. Maybe she should go to P1's site and post, do a posting with maybe her email address. That's a good idea. Yeah, I did that. I sent an email to the Mikey Show, so I have my email. No, no, no. Did you hear what Sky said? It's different. Totally different. There's a fan website where all the fans, all the hardcore P1s gather and communicate and, like, help each other out. It's a little community, and the website is p1site.com. And then they have, like, message boards where you can post things, and you could post on there how your friends and help needs help and how people can help. And different P1s will get together and help you. Because although it's a good thought, if you gave your phone number out right now, you'd have people crank calling you at 3 in the morning. Creepazoids. Creeps. Rob. Rob. I'm sorry. I would just be telling you my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song. What is it? Give me one of your favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs. I like what they do in 1979. Wait, Eddie, that's actually a Smashing Pumpkins song. Joke over. Oh, no, it's not.
Yeah, I'll check that site out. And we're just like accepting anything, just basically anything that can be donated. And the thing is, she doesn't have a vehicle. So we probably have things delivered, preferably delivered. And we've had an ad on Craigslist as well. I would go to P1 site. I think Skye's got a great idea. Go to P1site.com. And yeah, you could probably get a lot of help there. All right. Well, thank you, Mikey and everybody else. Have a good day. You got it. Bye. Thanks a lot. P1AO is online. What's up, AO? What's up? What's up? Craig Gass. Oh, Mal. Mal. Yeah, that dude. Black Asian. That's right. Yeah, that brother's kind of funny, man. I like that guy. Dude, he's awesome. Yeah, man. He's a cool brother, man. He got some good jokes up there telling him. I'm waiting for Rob to pop up there one time. You know what I mean? Oh, I will. That's right. We're in talks. Come on. There it is. Hey, when are you and Ashley going out? Really? I mean, any.
Eddie, you just opened it. Okay, look at all the worms are popping out. What happened? I thought that was a thing. Oh, man. Eddie. Look at that can of worms. How dare you? I've been out of a nut job over there. Man, leave me hanging. You know what I'm talking about? I swear I'll write you back, love. I swear. Eventually, she will write you back, AO. Hang tight. Take her out for Blowfish. Hang tight. That's right. I gotta go. Thank you. Thank you. Bye. Mikey, my favorite Smashing Pumpkin song is Smells Like Teen Spirit. Yes. That's P1 Red Sox. All right. Rob almost spit tea out of his... I didn't know you were going to read that right then. Mikey, favorite Smashing Pumpkin song? Cherry Pie. Oh, dude. When they do that one? It's really good. What the fuck? Mikey, I'd like to give a... He really likes those jokes. Yeah, he does. Mikey, I'd like to give a shout out to the post office in Oceanside because they're rocking the Mikey show this morning. For now. Dedicated to the one lady that is wearing the headphones in protest. That's a P1 meter reader. No. She didn't like this show. She listens to headphones. Yeah. Uh...
Let's see. Mikey, I am a meter reader and always going inside backyards. Just wanted to let you know more and more people are getting chickens, even in nice neighborhoods. That's why I'm doing it. You are not going to do it. Other people are doing it. If everybody else jumped off the bridge, would you too much? Thank you. If they were all jumping, I'd be like, well, this must be safe. You can make a good omelet out of it. That's right. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, if you can make a delicious omelet, I'd jump. It's so fresh. P1 Maiden fan. Hey, Mikey, how are you, bud? Good. Hey, I was just wondering if anybody had any information on this new Scott Weiland solo stuff, because it sounds a bit like old David Bowie. Have you heard it? Yeah, I caught it. He did a song on New Year's Eve on one of those television shows. It has a big throwback sound to the old David Bowie, Ziggy Stardust era. I don't know if anybody has read anything about it. I just typed it in. We don't have any of the new stuff, but maybe we can get some and play it because I'd be interested to hear what it sounds like. Yeah, and if you hear the drop that they're doing for the, I guess he's performing here locally real soon. There's a real brief clip of it.
And it's like, whoa. It just really caught my attention. Yeah, I'll see if we can get some of it and we'll try it out. And cheers, everybody. And hey, Eddie. Goal for your baby. Congrats. Nice. Thank you, brother. Appreciate it, dude. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. And today on... Her show, she's going to be doing Lost and Found. And so it's going to be songs you haven't heard in a long time, so make sure you're tuning in for that. Tomorrow, Weekend Worry Wart? It's Friday, Naomi. It's Friday tomorrow? Whoa. Whoa. And we'll talk to you then when Mikey shows out.
