The Mikey Show opened with Sean declaring he hates studio guests, calling Louie Anderson the worst for taking up space and spitting, which sparked a running bit about guest takeovers. The crew then debated the definition of 'boyfriend' versus just 'this is Sean' after Ashley's 24th birthday at Forever Fondue, where label confusion led to a heated argument about whether Jessica set her up with a known cheater. Lost season 3 flash forwards dominated discussion, and Zeth revealed his repeated traffic stops and five court dates in months, while Nick won P1 Trivia with his engagement and sobriety story. The episode closed with political visits from Romney and Huckabee and a Tone Deaf Karaoke segment where Sean insisted he always guesses songs correctly.

6-0-4. Entertainment Tonight and the Insider decided not to air footage of Heath Ledger doing coke after being contacted by a bunch of celebrities and them expressing their disappointment. There's a little bit of a football game going on this weekend. I don't know if anybody knows about it. New England versus the Giants. News out of the Giants camp is Plaxico Burris misses his second practice. What's the problem? He's got a swollen knee. Really? Yes. Did he do it in practice? Uh... Well, he's had that ankle injury for basically all season long. And I think playing and practicing, now he's got a knee injury. Welcome to the show. We've got guests in the studio today. It's Friday, so we have our guests in the studio that won P1 Trivia. You can hear Sean is not a fan of that. When we were in San Jose... Before we came here to San Diego, that was a big deal to Sean. He doesn't like it when people are in the studio. They take over, Mike. He feels they take over. But there's also the germy part of it, the part that they always want to shake hands. One of our P1s has a stuffed panda bear with her right now, and I'm sure that's in honor of Sean. That makes sense. That proves my point, Mike.
They're all a bunch of jerks. He also, Sean feels this way regardless of the person. If it's celebrities, he feels the same way. He didn't like it when Jay Moore would come in the studio. He didn't like it when anybody was in the studio. Louie Anderson was the worst. Yeah, we had Louie Anderson in the studio. Why was he the worst? Well, he took up the most space. He was gigantic. He spit when he talked. It was disgusting. He did spit when he talked. But that wasn't his fault. He couldn't help that. So I thought Sean would give him a break without it. So, hey, he can't control that. It just happens when he talks. Well, he could control it, actually. If he would just take note and concentrate. I mean, you don't have to spit when you talk. I mean, you would really, you would have to be doing that every moment. It would become, you know, it would consume you. Oh, no.
That's terrible. Well, you know what? Let's give the fat guy a break. He's overweight. He's a blimp. Let's cut him some slack, Mike. In fact, while we cut him some slack, let's cut him a steak. All right, well, that's Sean, and he is certainly... Welcome to the studio, jerks! Whoa! Okay. That's right. Man, he's moody today. I'll tell you what. His face is infected. That's what's wrong. His face is infected. He's got a beard because he can't shave. He didn't want to shave. Patches. Oh, it's his new nickname. That's right. He truly does look like a panda. That's true. With the black and the white. He's got the salt and pepper hair. That's it. I'm shaving. Or an extra from Lost. It's almost like he's been on the island. You know what I'm saying? Come on. watched that show last night i said to my wife yesterday i go they must have really done a good job with that third season because i said sky and eddie are excited and she goes you don't understand nice she said uh the last episode and i wanted i'm gonna try to imitate her i'll recreate how she said this all right she goes
She used her right hand to speak. She goes, thumb and index finger together, pointing at me to make her point with the thumb and index finger. She goes, the last episode of the third season of Lost may have been best episode. Wow. I agree. Wow. Yeah. I agree. And I said, and I go, why are you just throwing around stuff? You just say things. No, she's not. She's right. She's accurate. She's right. Yeah. So she was. Very excited about last night. It was incredible. Did it deliver? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, you know, it's the beginning of stuff. Oh, yeah. So you're getting morsels. Are you guys getting paid off on anything? Are they paying off anything? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So questions are getting answered, right? Kind of. Yeah. Because you don't want to feel like, okay, so it's the beginning of stuff. Man, I remember saying that the first season.
Yeah. Well, it's all flash forwards now. Like, this whole episode was all flash forwards. So you were seeing, like, who is now back, you know, in America after... Oh, it's crazy. I can't even talk. After they get off the island. Apparently. Apparently. Cut one. What's the ocean? Why are there only six? There's way more than six people. Yeah. What's going on? Well, we know that we've seen Jack. Kate and Hurley in the flash fours. And somebody in a coffin. And someone in a coffin. So that's four. Who are the other two? Where is everybody else? Mike. What happened? I want to know. Mike. Even I want to know. What happened? What about Jack? Cut four. Jack. You're going to shoot me, Jack. And I was going to shoot. That J.J. Abrams is good. I can hear how good that is from that clip. I didn't see it. That sounded great. So cool. That's it. Yeah, yeah. Okay.
All right. Maybe I'll try. And they bring back the creepy element, which was great. The Hurley. Yeah, with the shadow. I love the creepy stuff. Oh, it's good, dude. It's good. So they're bringing some of that? Yeah. All right. Yeah. Fine. Come on, Mike. I'll try it again. Get season three on DVD. Catch up. And then start watching. Three was good, right? Three was great. All right. I'm going to do it too, Mike. So let's get back on the bandwagon. All right, I'll be back on. We'll do it together. It's going to take some work, though. I'll do it, too. We'll help each other. Season three, man. That was a long one. We'll help each other. All right, fine. Okay. Welcome to the show. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. It is February 1st today. Oh, man. And I think that this is leap year. I think this is the fourth year. This is the year where we go, okay, we skip one. So there's only 27 days, I think, or 28 in this month. It's real weird. Uh-oh. Do you understand it, Ashley? Yeah. Isn't Boy Blunder? Boy Blunder. What about his birthday? Boy Blunder. Was he born? Budweiser from the BC and Clint show. He was born on leap year. So he only has a birthday. He's like eight years old. He's this many. Mine's saying that there's 29 days. So there's 28 days. It adds a day. It's an extra day. Every four years.
So there's 28. What is that? Is that the in-studio calendar you're showing me? It says Budweiser's birthday, I'm seven. And it looks like it was written by somebody's feet. He has the worst penmanship. But he's a good writer. The irony, right? He's got chubby fingers. So yeah, we add a day every four years. So there's a 29th day of December this year. February. Or February. Why did I say that? It's up to you. I think it was Ichabod Crane. That's why I said it. Or whatever. What am I thinking of? You know, the ghosts of past and future and present. The ghosts of Christmas past and Christmas future. What is that story? Scrooge. That's what I was thinking. I'll tell you why. Because he goes every 25th day of December. It was in my head. When I said the date. All right. I'm just explaining what happens internally. That's what I was thinking. Me too. Yeah, yeah. No, I'm sure we all were. Now I get it. Eddie's our producer, our sports guy. He's 34 years of age, which means to me he's in his mid-30s. Not yet. He says, no, you got to get to the 35 point, and then you're mid. Right now he's in his early to mid. Early to mid. Right. You still keep that word early in there. Yeah.
And Eddie, I made him stop telling me because I wanted to hear this on the air. He said that he has something really interesting that he does when he cooks and what's on the television while he cooks. I've been cooking a lot lately, and I have to have the Food Network on when I'm cooking dinner because I can see the television from my kitchen. And I think it's because I believe I'm on television when I'm cooking. Can you imagine this? Yeah. That is awesome. Do you imagine where the camera is and what angle they're shooting? I don't want to be like I'm an idiot and I'm pretending to be on TV at home. But I am aware of what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. Does it make you a better cook? Because you know you're under the gun a little bit. I think so. Taking more attention to presentation. Presentation, detail. Sure.
Do you have any signature moves or anything you do? Yeah, Rob, you can make your fun. Like a little band. Yeah. Let's take a walk into Kitchen Stadium, if you guys don't mind. Ladies and gentlemen, Eddie Papani is going to be seeing his secret ingredient here in just a moment. And today, the secret ingredient is ground beef. Oh, yeah. I won. I won last time. You won. So there it is. Ladies and gentlemen... From the far reaches of Gilroy, California, comes our first challenger. His name is Eddie Papani. And, Eddie, if you had to choose an Iron Chef to go up against, who would it be? I would probably choose Morimoto. Morimoto. Oh, really? I think I could beat him. Why Morimoto? He's very stylized. I mean, you know what you're going to get when you go against him. Yeah. I mean, if it's a fish dish, I'm screwed because he'll make his sushi and all those things that he does. I would choose Cat Cora. Why? Because you're sexist? I'm sexist. Smart. Good plan. I don't know. I believe men are better cooks than women. Well, that's certainly true. And so I would want to go up against Cat. For the most part, you're right. Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years of age and wearing a sweater. She can't cook. That is true. Skye does not enjoy cooking. No, opposite.
What about your mom and dad? Did they cook? Oh, my mom. Not my dad. Now, you didn't pick that up from her? You didn't have a... Oh, she tried. She did? My last two years of high school, she tried to do this Sunday dinner thing where I would have to be home a couple hours before dinner and she would teach me a new dish. That lasted about maybe three weeks. You did not like it. No. Did you let her know? Or was it just your overall apathy? Yeah, my body language. I mean, I was a teenager. That's not going to fly with anybody, really. Could you imagine that scene? No, thank you. You know, she tried to make it fun. Like, okay, here's your apron. Put on your apron. She's the best. Sky's going to do that, too. You know Sky's going to do that. That's so cute. Sean is our sound effects guy. And he is the sole representative. from the facial infection community. That's true. So he is sort of an advocate for antibiotics, the poster boy, and spokesperson for facial infection. Not really true. And if he ever runs for office, that will be the platform that he probably campaigns the hardest on, fighting facial infection. It's not easy. It's not easy. I'll say it. He'll win that debate. That's right. Don't even go there, girlfriend.
He'll get you. Let's see. Ashley, she is 24 years of age. She's got a birthday in June. And last night she took a big step, I think. Oh, really? Last night she took the guy that she's seen to a birthday party, a surprise birthday party. It was at Forever Fondue. Ooh. Love that place. Birthday party too, I'm mature. Like, that's little kids do birthday parties. You did more of a birthday. wine service with entree. A soiree. A soiree. I would assume if Freddie would be at a house with a lot of people. She had a gathering of friends to celebrate one's birthday at a restaurant. Forever fondue. Got it. And she took her... Is it fair to say boyfriend? Should we not say... Whoa! Whoa!
What are we, like married? Why do we have to label everything? Yeah, bro. Take it easy. Take a breath, boy. Hopefully he's not listening. Take a breath. I hope he isn't listening, too. He wouldn't appreciate his girlfriend talking that way. Oh, no, no. No more. Back to reality. So they went to Forever Fondue together. Yes. So cute. And how was it? How did you introduce him? You just said his name. You said, hey, this is Bill. Yeah, no, I basically, it was Shelly Brown's birthday dinner. Yeah. Who's a good friend of mine. And so Shelly Dunn was there from DSC. Yeah, because Shelly works on the DSC show too. Yes, but she goes by Choco on that show. So Shelly Dunn was there with her husband, Mike, and that was just great company. And then they're like two crazy friends. So it's like adults. Right. And then me and then my date. What is his name? Sweet boy. I don't even know his name. His name is? Coincidentally, Sean. Oh, wow. Second Sean you've dated. Yeah. You know, it's a soft spot. You're attracted to Sean's. I know, clearly, right? Not really. Soft spot in my heart. His name. But, yeah, so, and then it was Shelly and her boyfriend and this guy, Logan. So, how did you introduce Sean? I just said, this is my friend, Sean. Oh, wow. This is my friend. But, like, it was clear that we weren't, it was clear that we were more than Sean. Yeah, it was clear. How else would you do it? What?
Like, what do you say? Yeah, what do you say? There's no definition there. I would say, this is my boyfriend, Sean. No, you can't do that. You can't do that. There's no discussion yet. You can just say, this is Sean. All hell would break loose. All hell would break loose. What? What are you not saying? Yeah, because if there had been no discussion of labels yet, and you say, this is my boyfriend, and I hear that, I may pull out. It's weird. You're freaked out. I get that. I'm not your boyfriend yet. I'm not your boyfriend. There's been no discussion of that. How about maybe you say, hey, this is a person whom I feel very strongly for. However, we have not created a title for what our relationship is. Yeah. And so I will call him Sean. I like it. I like it. That's one way you could go, right? Absolutely. I'd add a few more words to that. I don't think it really. Yeah. Well, it's not wordy enough. No, it's not. But I honestly don't even think that he would care. He's so laid back and such a cool big guy. I don't think that he would bother him. That's just because he's so awesome. He's perfect. I have to say, this is a very similar... I've heard this before somewhere. I don't know where I've heard it. What? Heard what? It's a pattern. Those words. Those words about how...
He's a great guy. He's great. He's very great. They always start out that way. I know. But this one, I'm going to personally hope that this one's very different and that this one turns out to be the best of all of them. You have to go through the... The what, Mike? The coal to get to find diamonds. Next to impossible to top cereal. I mean, next to impossible. Tell me about it, Eddie. Yeah, you're telling me. I lived it, man. That was the best. I really wish I could get him back. You turned me out, Eddie. Whoa. I don't know what that means. The guy was great. He really was. He's got a lot going for him, definitely. Oh, wow. There you go. And Boston Rob, he is our phone screener. He's 25 years old, and he's wearing all his Patriots gear today, man. Oh, yeah. Back in the rotation. That's right. Here we go. He's got on his New England Patriots beanie, and he's got on his Patriots t-shirt. And over that, he's got a sweatshirt that says Boston. No jersey? Whatever. It'll be a jersey day. No, it's all superstition. You know it has to be some sort of. Yeah, you know what it is. Don't. This is pathetic. That's Teddy Bruschi jersey. Come on, buddy. That's not funny, dude. Nope.
Hopefully there'll be no strokes. No. Stroke joke. Okay. It's not funny, you guys. Super Friday. Yeah. Marry me, Brady. Well, there you go. Can't wait to talk to you more about the Super Bowl. Man, I wish we were watching it with him. I know it. That was so fun. I know it. But he won't. It would be fun for you. No superstition at all. For you guys. I wouldn't be able to move or... breathe because you guys would be saying I'm jinxing it left and right. You will be. No, Sean. No. Sorry. No fun for me. And then finally, Zeth is 22. He's the seventh member of the Mikey Show. He is one cute guy, isn't he? He is. I love him. Let me turn his mic on. I don't know why. Yeah. Just in case. Zeth got pulled over again yesterday. Get out of here. Come on. What? Again?
How many times? How many times that makes? That's crazy! Oh, I have four court appearances coming up in the next two weeks, plus that one. So that makes five probably in the last four or five months or so. What? His car's got expired tags. He doesn't do anything about it. Get it fixed. I've tried. I'm going to take it to go get it smogged today. It's a smog thing? Is that the deal? Yeah, the registration's already paid for. I just have to get it to pass smog. What's the problem? Do you know? Everything. Like... The O2 sensors, the exhaust, a lot of things. Poor guy. Poor guy, right? All right, 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. And also, welcome to the studio. It says P1 Panda Sleuth. It is? It's P1 Panda? It's not P1 Panda Sleuth? That's what Rob always puts on the screen. He always puts P1 Panda Sleuth. It's sleuth, Rob. There you go. Wow. Panda Slews, welcome to the studio. She has with her a little panda bear. And she is a cashier at her mom's 99 cent store. And she lost in P1 trivia, but she was able to answer a bunch of questions, so we let her come in. How come no personal stuff about her, Rob? I was digging. She didn't want to give. She didn't want to give anything?
I didn't really put anything down. I just told him, like, oh, what's the most interesting that happened to you? I saw George Clooney as a kid. That's cool. You could put that. I just need something to work with. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that's cool. Yeah. So where did you see him? We were walking down Hollywood Boulevard, and I don't even know what restaurant it was. Let me get you to come right up to the microphone. Oh. There you go. Yeah, we were walking down. See how close the sky is? Okay, cool. There you go. There you go. And you can grab that sucker and pull it towards you. Don't worry about it. I mean, they don't always fall off. Tell them that. Most of the time. Yeah, that's just the one time. Yeah, exactly. Go ahead, Panda Sleuths. Well, I mean, we were just with family. We were walking down Hollywood Boulevard. I did not even know what restaurant it was because I'm not really familiar with the area. And towards the back, there he was. Now, did you go say hi? No. You didn't want to leave him alone. Yeah. And you were too scared, probably. Yeah, I was like maybe 13, 14. I don't know. Was this Clooney from ER? Clooney from ER. Was that when he was on ER? I don't know. It was a guy named Clooney Booney, as it turned out. It was just some random guy. I'm asking, was it during his height of ER, or was it during Facts of Life? I'm not sure. He didn't have a posse around him. How did you recognize him?
Because I guess I saw him in ER. I mean, I've seen him on TV before. Eddie, it would have been nine years ago, so it would have been in 99. Yeah, that was ER time. He is like ruggedly good looking as he is. Yeah, did he look good? Yeah. Yeah. Real handsome. P1 Nick actually won P1 Trivia. He's in here and did really good. He's an AT&T manager. What? He's not a Stetson model? Look at this guy. I know. He's a handsome fella. Nick, you got a girlfriend? Actually, Mike, I'm engaged. Is that right? All the good guys go early, ladies. Like parking spots. That's right. Say again. I said like parking spots and then the rest are handicapped. That's true. That's the truth, man. What do you do as an AT&T manager? What is that? We run an experiential team and we set up events. Fiber optic TV and internet. That's cool. So you're a smart guy, it sounds like. Well, I talk better than I think, I think. Is that right? He's smart. Says here, you're a year and a half sober. Congratulations. No, no, no. Actually, my really good buddy is. Well, congratulations to him. And you, may I offer you a beer? Yes, sir. I'm drunk. Well, that's cool, man. Welcome, Nick. It's nice to have you here. And, of course. Aww.
One of the Hall of Famers. One of the all-time P1s. One of the all-time P1s. It's an honor. I'm telling you. I'm crazy about her. She's the best. P1 Quimby's in here. Oh, Shawnee. I love you, Shawnee. She's fantastic. She is fantastic. Your whole family's from Odessa? Yes, sir. I didn't know that. My grandfather was the mayor at one time. Is that right? Yes, and the book Friday Night Lights is about the town my parents grew up in. Wait, what is? Friday Night Lights. Really? The book and the movie is about the town my parents grew up in. I didn't read it, Skye. Skye is so irritated. You've never seen the movie? You've never seen the TV show? Never saw the movie. It's in Dillon, Texas on TV. I've never seen the movie. Yeah, I was born in Midland, and we moved out here from Amarillo in 1989. Really? Yes. Howdy. Yeehaw. Quimby, I didn't realize that you were 29. I thought you were a lot younger than that. Me too. I really did. I thought you were like 22. I will be 30 in 38 days. Look at you. Look at you. Pretty cool. And let's see. You're a clinical trials assistant. What is that? Well, what I do is I work for a...
Clinical research organization, big drug companies contract us to manage the sites for phase three through phase five clinical trials. How many are there? There's five phases. Okay. Ours is when you test the drug on the people with the indication that you're trying to alleviate. Right. And I manage all of their regulatory documents and supplies that they need for the study. So I basically manage 115 doctor's offices across the country. Look at you. Wow. Sean says... It's not easy. There you go. It's not easy. There you go. Well, thank you very much. That's Quimby. Yay, we love her. She's a good chick. Did you know... Well, most of you knew Romney was in town yesterday. He was down at the Embarcadero and I was watching. As soon as I turned the TV on, I turned the TV on and the first image I see is live. Embarcadero. Mitt Romney. And the first thing I hear out of his mouth is a slam. I'm like, this guy, man. That's so disappointing because we met up for lunch down in Seaport Village. You and Mitt. And I said, Mitt, bro. You gotta stop that. Unbelievable. Did you give him a fist bump? Yeah, we fist bumped and he said, that's cool, dog. And I said, okay, cool. But he didn't listen, I guess. Wonderful fish and chips down there. Cut 56.
If you think about debating Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton and who our nominee is going to be, we've got to make sure we have a nominee who can stand up and articulate a vision for America's future. Not someone who's lost in the past. Holy moly. Give me a break, dude. And let me tell you, all the places that he spent a bunch of dough, Iowa, lost to Huckabee. Florida, lost to McCain. So I'm going, I hope this guy don't get the nomination, because I'm Republican. He'll do the same thing. He'll spend a bunch of dough nationally to tell everybody what a turd everyone is, and then lose. Oh, I hope it don't happen, man. But this blew me away. Mike Huckabee was in town yesterday, and he's a dude I really like. And I didn't know it. Where was he, Sky? He was at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa on Mission Bay. And they say he spoke to a group of reporters at a news conference. And then after that, his plan was to speak to a group of pastors that came there to the resort. Really? Yeah. I wonder if Miles was one of them. I have no idea. Yeah, because Miles is... Whenever they do that, like summits, where they want to get the heavy hitter pastors... The Rock is what they call... The church I go to, The Rock is what they call...
I think they call them super churches. Is that what they call them, Quimby? Do you know? Super churches? Yeah, where they're like in an auditorium. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like a parish. Yeah, they refer to them as super churches because there's so many people in there. And so a lot of times, whenever they're doing stuff, they try to get those super churches together because they got so many people. So here's Huckabee in town yesterday, 57. People are looking for a true conservative, somebody who hasn't had a recent... change of opinion to become one, I would be the logical choice and, in fact, the only choice that they have. Careful. I just don't want to hear bagging on people. There's a veiled bag there. Well, he's got to be dropping out any time, right? Well, I think he'll wait until Wednesday because he'll see what happens on Tuesday. Because on Tuesday, I think he's going to win some pretty important states. On Tuesday, he's going to win a lot of the South, I think. He should win Arkansas with no problem. He should win Tennessee, Missouri. He should win a lot of those states. And so depending on how many delegates he's able to pull in, he might be in there still. But, you know, if not, it'll probably be Wednesday. He'll say, all right, I'll see you later. Cut 58. There has been somewhat of almost a national media spin that this race is a two-man race. And if so, I'd like to say that John McCain and I will definitely duke it out to the very last vote.
Let's see. P1 Gunslinger is on the line. What's up, Gunslinger? Hey, good morning. I just wanted to bring up the fact that remember when Ashley was dating Serio, how long it took her to even admit that it was her boyfriend. It took her like three months. I don't think she ever did. But I was also 21 years old. I don't think Ashley ever said that he was her boyfriend. I did. You did? Yeah. You finally did? But I was also 21 years old. It was years ago, sir. And I met him in a bar. I mean, it was a totally different situation. Wait, what? Like, it's called growing up, bro. Look into it. Yeah. Hello. We all do. Hello. Like, what? Batman, because I'm the riddler, I can't tell you who that partner is. But the answer lies in a song from 1974. P1 Ryan, talk to me about AIS. $700 a quarter? Yeah. I don't know what a quarter is. That's every three months or four months? It's every six months. I don't think that's a quarter, but that's neither here nor there. All right, every six months they save you how much? $600 because I had it suspended on my record when I finally got my license when I was 25 years old. I never drove before. This guy is saving $1,200 a year by switching to AIS. Yep. That's phenomenal, dude. Yeah, I think I might go get some laser eye surgery now with that money. You should. You might as well. Hey, listen, in all seriousness, you're writing checks for so much less every month. You can use that money on yourself in a fun way. Yeah, I appreciate it. You know, it really helped me out. Well, you know, a lot of details came out yesterday because when she was taken to the hospital, it was very early Thursday morning. So by late afternoon yesterday, we were hearing a lot of crazy stuff. Hang on. We got to figure out something. This is a deal on Fridays. We got to figure out something with the monitor. We got to get a monitor for the guests because when you can't hear, it's real different. Yeah, it sounds real, real different. Guys, I'm going to have to have her use your headphones for a second. We'll figure something out. We did have something for a little while. Well, the speaker is still there. We were never able to make it actually work. You mean it never actually turned on? No, it turned on. It just didn't work. What was the problem with it? Do you remember, Eddie? It was so long ago. Try turning it on right now. I don't think it's hooked up. I think they unplugged it. Do me a favor, Ash. Write to Engineering again and ask them if they can think of a solution for when guests are in so that they can hear the show because Skye's got to have her headphones. Okay, so start again, Skye. What's going on with Brittany? So Brittany, we found out a lot more details yesterday afternoon about how everything went down when she was committed to UCLA Medical Center, the psych ward. So she finally arrived at about 2 o'clock in the morning there and they say it took over two hours to actually get her admitted.
because she was freaking out everywhere. She wouldn't calm down, which is really weird, because when she left her house, she was so cool and calm and collected and was making hot chocolate while she was waiting for the paramedics to show up and having just a dandy time. So she was freaking out. She was screaming at her mother in the UCLA Medical Center that her mom was trying to sleep with her boyfriend. Who, Adnan? Well, see, that's what you would assume because, you know, that's her current boyfriend. But lots of people say that she was referring to K-Fed because Lynn Spears does see K-Fed a lot because that's the only way she's been able to see the grandkids since, you know, Brittany has kind of, you know, gone a little cuckoo. Why would she call her the boyfriend? Yeah. Why would she call K-Fed a boyfriend? I mean, maybe she was referring to Adnan. I don't know. But, I mean, you know, it's for us to look, to things britney says to make sense isn't really that's the speculation they're speculating like what tmz saying they think it's uh k fed that she was actually talking about yeah um yeah they say that reporting that the tension between britney and her mother may have stemmed from britney's belief that lynn has a sexual relationship with her ex-husband kevin federer oh boy
Yeah, weird. And then also we learned that the hospital classified her as GD, which means gravely disabled, which means that her condition has deteriorated to the point where she's unable to take care of her basic needs, like feeding herself, clothing herself, and finding herself shelter. Holy cow. That is nuts, man. Yeah, but then again, they say that's in a way a positive thing because if they want to get a judge to get her to be forced to stay an extra two weeks in their care, that diagnosis will do a lot to help their argument. The Super Bowl pregame is going to be four hours long. Four hours. And it's on Fox, which I'm happy about because I think Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are pretty good. I'll enjoy that. Here is Ryan Seacrest looking forward to Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson's performance. Cut 43. I'm excited. She is not nervous. She's very much looking forward to Randy Jackson's dance because Paula apparently is choreographing Randy. And I don't know if you've ever seen him move. And I'm being serious. Why say Paula is not nervous? Why say that? Why is that necessary to say that?
We know that she's nervous. That's the reason it's taped and not live like it was supposed to be. Yeah. So we know she's nervous. Yeah. So a lot will be going on in those four hours. We'll have Seacrest interviewing stars like Hugh Laurie. Looking forward to that, Eddie? Totally. Boy. I just get my dip and a little soda pop and just watch that all day. They're like, what is a 34-year-old male guy that's really into football? Who does he want to see? Ryan Seacrest. Let's do a red carpet. Red carpet, yeah. Interviewing people about what they're dressed like. Is it going to be celebrities that are going to the game? They figured out that 98% of all Americans watching the game are gay. So they know that that's what we want to see. From my understanding, it's celebrities who will be, like, obviously talking about the game, but at the same time... It's going to be like Fox stars, right? Yeah, but at the same time, they have a show to promote or a movie to promote. The stars of Bones. Oh, wow. That's exactly what I wanted. John Rev is going to be out there, too? That'd be great. So, Frank Caliendo will be doing impressions.
Willie Nelson and Sarah Evans will be singing Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys. You've got to be kidding me, man. Why? Are they trying to destroy it? Why that? I don't know. The Cowboys aren't playing? It doesn't make any sense. Paula Abdul will have her pre-taped new song. Alicia Keys will perform. Jordan Sparks will do the national anthem. I'm going to take a ruffle and dip it in dip. placed chips over my eyes. What about your ears? I'm going to put little baby carrots sticks with ranch. I'm going to dip it in ranch and then go and stick them right in my ears. They say before kickoff, the Declaration of Independence will be read by several different people. That's not true. That's not true. I make stuff up, man. There will also be a tribute to soldiers read by Pat Tillman's Widow Marie. We will then, somebody will come out with a paint roller, a wall, and then for 45 minutes, we'll watch it dry. So four hours. I'd rather watch that than Seacrest. Me too. Seriously. I'm totally in on that. You know, last year, 141.4 million people watched the Super Bowl. Wow. That's crazy. So like worldwide or? Americans. Wow. That's just Americans.
That's half the U.S. population. Nearly half. That's crazy. Of the population of the United States watches the Super Bowl. I told you. I believe that in my lifetime. No, I don't. I don't believe that it was in my lifetime. My son's lifetime. What do you believe? My son's lifetime. I do believe that eventually the Monday following the Super Bowl will be a national holiday. That would be rad. I think we're getting there. I think we're getting there. Because it's become a part of American culture so much. In fact, I think in England they do similar stuff. Like for World Cup or something? Yeah, because they're really into it. Holiday? Yeah, they take a holiday. Oh. You know, especially if Manchester's playing someone. But 126 million people voted in the last election, so that's considerably less. But that'll change too if they ever figure out a way to let us vote from home. I think everybody would vote if we could do it from our TV. Oh, electronically from home, you mean? Yeah. It has to be substantially easier than having to do it absentee. People find that too... I don't even know. I wouldn't know where to begin. You get a little thing in the mail. You fill your bubble and then you slip it in the mailbox. I don't know that, but I'll tell you why. We vote absentee. Some friends of ours do too. But you guys are like... Easy. You're into it. You cared enough to find out how to do it. Most people... I wasn't sure.
Yeah. I wasn't sure how that worked. Yeah, a lot of people, they don't know how that goes down. There's so many people that don't. But if you turned your TV on and on MTV they were telling you how, a lot of people would know. It's like checking out from a hotel. Yeah, you know, if more people know, if they put it on TV, if they said that on Lost during commercial, people would know. Yeah, true. But we're not there yet. I don't know why I go back to Subway. You eat at Subway? Sometimes. Talk myself into it. Wait, wait, wait. I'll tell you the story. I've been meaning to do this. I want to hear Hillary's commercial because Tuesday, California, we all go to the polls. We all vote on Tuesday. And so now all the candidates are airing their commercials, right? I had a big discussion with my wife about this commercial yesterday. About Hillary's commercial? Yeah. So let's listen to it. This specific one. Because they're all spending money now for one week, seven days. They're going to inundate us with Obama. And Hillary and all the different candidates, okay? The cure. Americans still have that can-do spirit. We know you can't solve economic problems with political promises. The stakes are too high. The future too important. We can turn our economy around and build a new age of prosperity. I'll bring more than my 35 years of experience to the White House. I will bring your voice and your spirit. We're Americans. And together, there's no problem we can't solve.
Solutions for America, it says. I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message because the stakes have never been higher. What did you guys say, Eddie? 35 years of experience doing what? Yeah, she's been... Of what? What'd she do, Sky? Well, back when her, you know, she's been working in Arkansas forever, like on health care plans and getting health care for kids. She talked about this in the debates last night. I mean, granted, she wasn't holding a position, but she was working in the political system. Yeah, I don't understand how you can claim 35 years of experience. Yeah, if you're working in the political system. We're talking politics. She hasn't held any office. Well, yeah. She's only been a senator for like... Do you think that she's stretching a little bit with that, or do you think that that's fair? No, if she's been working to change policy for 35 years, then yeah, that's experience to me. No. Okay, no to you, yes to me. No. That's fine. Oh, wait, you're a Republican, I'm a Democrat? Oh, how crazy. Obama got one over on her last night. Yes! He really did, man. So now you're an Obama fan? Smackdown, I just hate Lori. It's funny, man, so many people feel that way. Weird.
There are so many people that just don't like Hillary. Skye, I thought you said you don't trust her. Oh, well, yeah. I mean, I think, yeah. I mean, I'm not happy with any of my choices now that Edwards is out, but I don't hate her. I don't dislike her. There's things about her I wish that were different, but to me, her and Obama are a lot better than anything else out there right now, in my opinion. My wife's grandfather passed away last year, and he was serious about this. Daughter and granddaughter, Rebecca, promise him that if Hillary Clinton ever ran for president, they would not vote for her. What? Whoa. No way. And they both promised him that. That's funny. Yeah. Wow. So anyway, so last night during the Democratic debates, they're talking about how they voted on the war. Okay, now what's the big Libby thing with the war? We didn't want it, you know, nobody, blah, blah, blah. A lot of them voted for it, including Hillary, okay? Hillary voted for it. Well, Obama didn't vote for it. And did he work it? Cut 54. Senator Clinton, I think fairly, has claimed that she's got the experience on day one. And part of the argument that I'm making in this campaign is that it is important to be right on day one. And the government
On this issue and some other issues is relevant to how we're going to make decisions in the future. Almost see her eyes start twitching. Raise the roof. There's really no defense to that. The only defense you could really say is, well, I made a mistake. OK, I didn't. I didn't make a mistake. So which one do you guys want to vote for? Surprisingly, that was about as ugly as it got last night. They were very cordial. Yeah. surprising yeah i mean in terms of uh the last debate they were extraordinarily and last night was the first time it was just two of them going head to head they also asked them would you consider a obama hillary ticket or a hillary obama ticket they asked them but would you and neither of them wanted to give that up they weren't going there We're going to do something next called Tone Deaf Karaoke if you want to play. 5701053. Ashley says, good batch today. That works out well. 5701053. Would you like to play a little Tone Deaf Karaoke? Ashley will be singing like she did on American Idol. And you have to tell us what it is that she's singing. I know it sounds easy, but it's a little harder than it sounds. Okay. Okay.

Something's happening to me. I'm seeing things I shouldn't see. You could see death. You're scared. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool.
And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Cardi Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on Costco. Sleep Tank was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something. So they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? It's awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Thank you. You got it. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Hello there. Yeah, that's what gets me every time. I see the sandwiches on TV and I go, I'm going to really like it.
No. Not so much? Not so much. I despise Subway. Whoa. To each their own. Yeah. Everybody has their own thing. But the fact that they put bell peppers, the food I hate the most. Come on. On a set. You know, it's the best. For the fast food sandwich places, it's the best sandwich on the planet. Better than Quizno? Quizno? Quiznos. Well said. Quiznos. I'm not that big a fan of Quiznos either. Really? It's a step above Subway. Now, have you ever had Grab and Go? What the heck are you talking about? But that don't sound like that. Is that a chain? Uh-huh. It is? Yeah, there's a few in San Diego. Is it good? It's pretty good. Yeah? Yeah, I like Grab and Go. The best sandwich in America is Cheers Deli.
Wow. In America? Yeah. That's quite a statement. Holy cow. Well, I mean, I've traveled the world studying sandwiches. You have? In your sandwich blog? I'm just saying, here in America, the best sandwich in America is Cheers Deli. Wow. So you've got to drive to Cheers Deli. They've got one location. That's what makes them good. Is that Jackson and Navajo? Jackson and Navajo. That's sure correct. It's over in San Carlos. Is that it? San Carlos, yeah. But as far as the chains go, Togo's makes a pretty decent sandwich. And they'll do weird stuff for me. I'll request strange things and they'll do it. I like to watch them make that sandwich. And I go, no, no, no. Don't you put that on that sandwich. I do that every time. Sometimes Rebecca will be sent to go get the Togo's. What happens? Well, she's all nervous that I'm going to be upset. And so I always have to tell her now, if anything goes wrong.
It's not your fault. I'm telling you from the very start, don't be worried. I won't blame you. But stuff gets messed up sometimes, you know? What is your sandwich, Eddie? Wow. The number what? I normally get that number 16, which is the Italian. But I've been weird lately. I don't want to talk about it. Eddie is in a space in his life where he's trying different. He's forcing himself to get different. What do you get? The hummus? Come on. You're not weird. No. What are you getting? On Wednesdays, you know how they have now, like every day of the week, they have like a specialty sandwich. On Wednesdays, there's like this roast beef sandwich. And it's really good. I don't always go on a Wednesday. And so now I try and figure out what exactly they put on that sandwich and try to order that specific sandwich on other days. So I'll go in there and I'll say, I want a roast beef sandwich, but I don't want the shredded lettuce. I want the leaf lettuce. And instead of this, I want this because it's that specialty thing. And they make it for me. That's nice. It's awesome. Come on. What do you get? This guy's a pickiest eater. What do you get?
Well, I'm really bummed, but I, well, first of all, there's no togos near where I live. Oh, that's horrendous. I know, it's ridiculous. Are you sure? And my husband has this theory about food that if it's not hot, it's not a meal. So we're really not allowed to eat sandwiches in my house. What about lunch? You can't have a sandwich for lunch? No. You have to have a hot meal for lunch? What the hell? Yeah, what's the point? So he doesn't like cold sandwiches that have no place in the world. Basically, yeah. I even try to make him sandwiches at home. No, never. That's ridiculous. That is garbage. I wouldn't either. I mean, I'm not going as far as he does, but I will say my wife will go to Henry's and have them make her a sandwich, which I think is just the most ridiculous thought. They have like a deli section? Yep. That sounds delicious. Dude. Fresh produce? No, bro. What's the problem? I don't want any grocery store made sandwich. You never had sandwiches at Vaughn's? It's like having your mom make you a sandwich. Oh, they're great. Let me tell you what drives me batty is if they go, what kind of bread? And you go wheat bread and they turn around and they grab a loaf that they just got off aisle nine. No way.
Come on. They'll reach into a bag that says, you know, it's like home-pried buttered wheat. When's the last time you wanted a sandwich? No, man. My mom made that. Don't make that. What's the problem? That's a mom sandwich you want to make. But these stores have bakeries. It's a house sandwich. I don't want a house sandwich. Okay. That makes me want to cry. No, don't cry. I'm not Seth, but... Come here. It's not working. What do you want? You want the tears to come out of my eyes? But I instantly go... That's not special. Well, just give it to me. Let me come back there then. If it's like house stuff. Or they'll take a tomato. They'll take a tomato that they just got out of the produce section and they'll slice it in front of you. And I'm like, what's the matter with that? That makes them more fresh. They would never do that in New York City or Chicago.
They'd already have them pre-cut, which makes it taste better. No, it doesn't. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's wrong. It's had time to meld. It's had time to meld. Meld? What does that mean? The air? No, with itself. Meld, yeah. Oxidized, baby. Yeah, that's right. It changes the flavor, makes it better. No. It's not as bright. You don't want it, Brian? Just speak in my mind, that's all. You want your produce nice and bright. Not in a sandwich. Too much tang. It needs to calm down. It needs to calm down. You got food issues, man. How dare you? Say to me. What's up? I don't want tomato. I want tomato. It takes brass balls. That's all I'm saying. Alright, fine. Well, fine. Let's do it then. Ashley sings. And we present it to you. Yeah, that's true. And you tell us what she's singing.
Simple concept? That should be really easy. It's not. That's the thing. That should be, though. That's the thing. It should be easy. Sean says he gets every single one right. I don't believe that. Our Sean or your Sean? Oh, Sean, we need to give him a... Not my ex-Sean. Oh, I thought you meant your ex-boyfriend Sean that does sound effects on the show. Sean on the show. We did date. Right. Until you broke my heart. Have him, you know what? Not true. If that's true, have him call in right now. I'll give him an old one. I guarantee he won't get it. Okay. I guarantee you he won't. All right. Oh, I love this. I mean, listen, I understand guys wanting to be supportive. Yeah. But it's, you can't understand. Well, you know, he's trying to close the deal. I hear what you're saying. I would say things like that too. You would? I hear what you're saying. Okay. You sound wonderful, honey. You sound... Just beautiful. Yeah. Gosh, your voice is just... I don't understand how it's even a bit. It goes down so well. That's right. It's like... It goes down like EpiCag. P1 Antonio is on the line. Good morning, Mikey. Good morning, Antonio. All right, dude. Here's how we're going to do this. I'm going to play you a clip of Ashley singing and let the whole thing play before you give me a guess, okay? All right. Title or artist to win. Here we go.
Oh, you did. Wow. Is that human? P1 Antonio, can you give me title or artist on that one? Uh... Pink? No. It wasn't pink. It was Madonna. Express yourself. Of course it was. It's like Britney's singing this song. Sorry, Antonio. Ashley's friend Sean is on the line. Oh, her good friend Sean. Your good friend Sean. Sean, are you there? Yeah, I'm here, Mikey. All right, now you claim to be able to know what she's singing every time? Well, almost every time. Almost, I see. Now we see.
I got to backtrack a little bit because I think you might throw a curveball at me. Well, hey, listen. I'm just going to play you a clip. You tell me what it is. We get it, bro. Here we go. You still good friends? Yeah. Yeah. Go on. Oh, how dare you? You're correct. See, but that's an old one. We played that one before. All right, fine. Let's play today. Let's play today. We have ones up right now. That was an old one. You could have been cheating. Right? All right, are you ready? I'm ready. Let's play what we have prepared for today. Here we go. Okay, good friend, Sean. Can you give me a title or artist there? Hey, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. If you get this one right, you can speak to her again. I'm sorry. Oh, every single time. What's going on? The Beastie Boys, my friend. That was the Beastie Boys.
I really liked it, though. Yeah, hang on, dude. I'm going to give you a prize anyway because you've got to put up with her. Hang on a minute. Give him something, the poor man. P1 Andrea, are you there? Advice. Andrea, are you ready to play? I'm ready to play. Is it Andrea or Andrea? One that comes out, actually. I don't care. I've met very few Andreas or Andreas that are okay with the other. All right. I think it's kind of cool. Listen, you're willing to work with people is what you're saying. Well, how do your parents say it? My mom doesn't. She's never called me by my first name in my entire life. She's like, actually, my mom left me Sky when I was six. It's alcoholism. No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. She doesn't say either one? What does she call you? A nickname? No, my middle name's Michelle, so she calls me Michelle. Gotcha. How strange. I used to get in trouble for school for that. Your mom calls you by your middle name? Yeah. She'd call in for me at school, and I'd get in trouble because she'd call in for the wrong person. All the time. What's the matter with you? Wait a minute, Eddie. Now hang on a second. Now, Andrea, what do your friends call you? Weird. Depends on where they know me from. If they know me from home, they call me Michelle.
Or Misha, which is my nickname. But, like, my fiancé, all his family, all my people from work call me Andrea. This is the strangest thing ever. Wait, Quimby's saying her, too. What's the deal, Quimby? What are you talking... Well, first of all, Quimby's name is not Quimby. In fact, what does Quimby mean? Why do you call yourself Quimby? It's a really long story. My old roommate used to call me Katie Q. Evans. Uh-huh. Simply because of the fact my real name is Mary Catherine. I was named for both my grandmothers. And... I don't know because I knew her name to be Katie. It's not Quimby. It's not Katie. It's Mary Catherine. That is my legal name. Your name's Mary? Yeah. My first name is Quimby. But I've never gone by Mary ever. I will not respond to you. I think that you should have it legally changed to Quimby. We're working on it. I love it. It's in the works. All right. Andrea, let's play a little tone-deaf karaoke. Let the whole clip play before you give me an answer, okay? Here we go. Call Sean back and give him two prizes. Andrea, can you give me title or artist to win here? I got it.
Give me a second. I know it's like to walk along the lonely street of dreams. Oh, man. You know what? I got nothing. I know what song it is, and I can't think of either. You can't give me a band name? You guys were kind of talking over it. All I heard really was to say was to walk along. I don't do this very often. I'm going to play it one more time for you. I couldn't hear because you guys were talking. We weren't talking. We were not just talking. You're a liar. It's okay. She's a good person, you guys. We're the worst. No. You guys, she's an alright person. We're sorry. Alright, here we go, Michelle. I never seem to find what I'm looking for. Oh, Lord, you've got the strength to carry on because I know what it means to walk along the lonely street of dreams. Oh. You've got to know it. Andrea, Michelle. Can you give me a title of the artist yet? No, I can't. Sky, what did you think it was? Let her phone a friend. Here I go again on my own. You got it. That's awful. That was not the same. If David Coverdale were still alive, he would really be offended by it. Yeah, that's true she does.
That's one of my favorite parts. I like when she sings the instrument, is what you're saying. She sings? Yeah, it's good. Yeah, she'll do the... When did she sing? Oh, I thought she was having trouble. P1 Trophy Lounge is on the line. Morning, Mike. You're having trouble with your face. Wait a second. That's true. That's actually true. Well, it is true. P1 Trophy Lounge? What up, what up? How you doing, man? All right. Do you have a cold? Yeah. You have a bit of a cold. I can hear the cold. What do you do, man? What do you do for a living, Trophy Lounge? I work for the social services. Slow carry. The special services? Social. The social services. The social. It's a social service. My voice is so low with this cold. Thank you. All right. Well, let's give this thing a try, Trophy Lounge. Why do you call yourself Trophy Lounge? Have you won a lot of trophies? No, no. Trophy Lounge is a club in downtown National City where my parents met. I see. That's kind of... It's an inside joke, actually. It's like a... Let me explain it. Trophy Lounge is where a place where Westpac widows... Westpac widow is a lady whose husband's out on Westpac look for love. It's an inside joke. That's funny. Okay. And so that's how mom and dad met. Okay. How romantic. Creepy. It's like the notebook. Yeah. All right, Trophy Lounge. Well, I'm going to play you a clip. I'm going to play you a clip. Okay.
When the clip's done, give me title or artist for you to win. Come in. Come in. Hello. Hello. Hello. Yes. Hello. Hello. Take off the scuba gear. Oh, my goodness. Hello. Yes. Hello. Yes. We're playing the game from the restaurant, which is now sunk to the bottom of the ocean. We're part of Oceanic Flight 815. That's right. Hello. Yes. Come in. We're part of the Oceanic 6. Help us. It's not Penny's boat. Oh. All right, dude. Here we go. Here's your clip. Oh, dude. Trophy Lounge. Yeah, I'm sure it is. Really? Wow. That may have been the easiest one we've ever done. I think so. Oh, great. That was Motley Crue, dude.

And what we'll do is, because I've seen them and they're cool. And so I think that what we'll do is we'll try this out. Because it could be that I say, you know what, Skye, it's just a little too intimate. But I don't think I will. I think I'll really enjoy them. And then next year I'll say... I liked it. I'm going to reciprocate. And I'll get your card. A card, which is whatever. Okay, what do you think about this? Go ahead. You know, I've been on pajamagram.com many times, and I know they do have couples PJs, matching PJs. I see. How about I get us a pair and we wear them to work? All right. Well, you know what? A traffic where it remained in effect from a bad accident and involved some injuries here as you head south in 805. Just past Plaza Boulevard here in the South Bay. That really caused a mess. Still going to find some major backup on the approach there. You'd be advised, so avoid that. On the northbound side of the 805, maybe some looking loose going into the area as well. Things go a little bit tougher, though, farther up from Home Avenue for a slow ride into North Park. A little tight around Murray Ridge. And then slower still, coming up the hill into Kearney Mesa as you head up towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. West 94 on the King Freeway, not too bad, man. That's looking pretty good all the way to downtown.
The westbound 8 commute is getting a little bit tighter now as you came in through La Mesa from Fletcher Parkway out towards the college area. Heading south on the 15, a brief delay in Rancho Bernardo here. Punches up again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. Not a bad ride overall on the 15 this morning. Heading south on the 5, though, you will find a bit of a struggle here approaching Encinitas Boulevard. From there, it's a crawl all the way down to Lomas and Fee Drive in Solana Beach. I'm McLaurin, Sun Rock, 105.3. Mikey Show, hello. P1 Josh out here. I just want to get a suggestion on... Sleep train. Go ahead, dude. I need to find a new mattress. What are you sleeping on now, old mattress? Yeah, I've had it for about two years, you know. We were on a budget, so freaking we had to go low because we were sleeping on a futon. So freaking. Don't worry. Don't worry, dude. First of all, stop saying freaking so much. I know. Thank you. Go down to Sleep Train. They'll work with you as far as what your budget is, and they'll find you a good mattress. Mention me, okay? All right. And they'll take care of you. All right. Okay, bro. We'll see you. Because we're definitely going to get negative press for Clear Channel, but I've never really cared about that. All right. Thank you very much. I'm going to take it under advisement. I appreciate it. P1, Jessica, are you there? Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hi. I have this really weird situation I'm in, and I kind of need some advice. Yeah, Rob put you up here on my call screener, and I'm trying to understand, and I don't know if it's you or him, that I don't understand exactly the message, but it says something that you were trying to set your friend up or something? Yeah, I set my two friends up, and the guy wound up cheating on my friend Danielle, and she's now blaming me for him cheating, and I just feel like...
You know, she was single. I did a nice thing by setting them up. And it was fine for a couple months. And, like, it's not my fault. He cheated. How old are you? How old are you? I'm 24. I'm 24. How old is the guy that you set up? So you knew the guy. There's a girl that you set up, but you knew the guy. Yeah, totally. I've been friends with him, Steve, for, like, since elementary school. We've been friends for, like, ever. We're all, like, the same age. He's 25. Yeah. Mike. Yeah, yeah. I got a friend of mine, too, now. He's got... Which friend? The girl? Danielle. I put her up there. Okay. Danielle? Yes. Seriously? Seriously, Jessica? Really? I'm so confused right now. I cannot believe what I'm listening to. No, seriously. First of all... Wait, wait, wait, wait. Pause. Pause. Stop. Stop. What the heck is going on? Wait, wait. Don't anybody talk, please.
Rob, the girl, wait, wait, wait. So the girl that she's talking about that was set up, the friend called in when she heard her? Yeah, she just said, is that my friend Jessica? And I said, I don't know, hold on. I asked her a couple questions. Jessica, do you recognize this girl? Yes, do you see how mad she is? I don't know what to do. She's like, I think it's my fault. Okay, wait, wait, wait. I got it, I got it. Okay, wait, wait, wait. So, Jessica, Jessica, you sent your friend Danielle up with your guy friend and he cheated on her. That's right. And now she's mad at you. Yeah. Danielle, why are you mad? That's not my fault. Danielle, why are you mad at her? Really seriously. First of all, you are telling the story on radio for everybody to hear. Okay, so you're airing My Dirty Laundry. That's not a point. You knew he was a cheater from the beginning. When you set us up, you knew he was a cheater. He cheated on other people, and you didn't even tell me. This is really weird. Can we slow this down a second? My head's swimming. Jessica. Yeah? You knew that this guy cheated before you set her up with a friend? Well, I mean...
He's not like a serial cheater. A lot of guys cheat sometimes, and I didn't know I had to give a whole background history. You didn't know you? Well, I have a big detail. That's a little bit of a detail. I would have wanted to know. Let me set you up with one of my friends. He just got out of jail. Okay, calm down. Calm down, lady. I mean... Did she mention, well, okay, so did Jessica mention anything about him in any way? Maybe not specifically that he cheated on people, but maybe that he kind of liked to play the field? Oh, no, I've got this great friend. You guys are both single. You guys should meet. It'd be great. So, yeah, it was great for a couple of months until he cheated on me. Wow. Danielle, you were whining. You were single so much, and, like, he's really hot, and I thought you would. Get along. I'm like, it's not my fault. Maybe you weren't handling things right. You know what I mean? No, let's not go there. Maybe she was asking for it. Jessica, is that what you're saying? I wasn't handling things right. Jessica, is that what you mean? Like she was asking for it? No, no. I mean, I can keep my man satisfied. Oh, my gosh. Okay, these are not good friends. This is not... Seriously, you're insane. I seriously cannot believe you're doing this. You set me up with an awful, awful guy, and then you go on the radio about it.
To make matters worse. No one knew it was you until you called out. I mean, it's not that much. I want them to come into the studio. I do not. I do not. I want them to come into the studio. I don't. Work it out, dog. You don't want me to come into the studio with her. If I come within 50 feet of her, she is done. Wait. I don't know who that is. I don't know which one that is. That was Danielle. Danielle's the mad one, right? Yeah. Ashley has a question. If your so-called best friend set you up with a guy that she knew was a cheater, I mean, come on. I'm confused. Tough love it is. Tough love. Ashley, what's your question? My question is, to the girl who, the guy up, because I don't even know who's she right now. Jessica is the friend that knew the guy. And set her good friend Danielle up with this guy who she knew. She's the setter. Yes. And Danielle is the settee. And Mark, or Steve.
Somebody. Steve. Those are your brothers. Yeah, those are my... And Sam. Okay. Everybody's involved. Wow. No, no, no. Jessica said her friend Steve is the cheating guy that she set up. Okay. Yeah. So... So let me ask you, what was going through your head, Jessica, when you set them up? Like, when you went to Steve, like, were you kind of setting it up like, hey, Steve, check out my friend? You know, not in terms of a relationship, but maybe you'll have a good time with her. Or were you kind of setting it up like you really think they would have a good relationship? Well, I didn't set the parameters. It's up to them. You know, I just was like, they're both single. I thought they might. Something's fishy to me. I'm okay with that. I am too. That's how me and my husband met. I don't see anything wrong with that. He was a cheater up until he met me. Well, he was. Sky, sky, sky. Did they tell you that? Kind of. Kind of? Or did they say, hey, I just want you to know this guy used to cheat? No.
It was his friend that set us up and he goes, hey, you know, I know you're single. My friend's single. He kind of likes to play the field, so I'm not promising you anything, but I'd like us to all go out and have fun. And I'm like, I'm down. See, I never thought of you that. See, I was looking for something serious. Did Jessica blatantly know that Steve is... Play the field is different than cheating. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Did Jessica blatantly know that Steve is a cheater? Like, no matter what, Steve cheats. Danielle, well, wait. What? What? It's very confusing. Danielle, are you there? I'm here, yes. Okay, you're saying, how do you know she knew? Because I talked to other friends. We all run in the same circle. And he has cheated on two of her other friends. Tell her, Danielle, tell Jessica specifically who told you so that she knows the deal, the score. Who said it? No, I don't think it's right. I'm not going to go on air and totally rat somebody out like she just did. Jessica, Jessica, did you know that the guy cheated? Okay, like I said before, he has maybe slipped up and cheated a couple of times with a couple of the girls he's seeing, but he's not like a serial cheater that just cheats and is a dog. Don't you think? Yeah, but Jessica, don't you think that's a pretty big, you know, thing to leave out?
No, I don't. I think most guys, if you pulled them at one time or another, maybe there was some indiscretion. Maybe there was. Maybe there was, but you're not 100% of it. Sure. He's not a dog. He's not a dog. He just maybe cheated a few times. I've known him since elementary school. We're best friends. He's a good guy. If he doesn't think he's serious with a girl and the relationship is going anywhere, he might mess around with another girl. I don't think it's that. Surprisingly, people are calling in and they're upset at Danielle, the girl that got cheated on. I don't know that's that surprising. I'm kind of agreeing with that. She set her up with a guy that she knows. It was a friend. And once the initial setup is over with, I think her responsibility is over. It's up to Danielle to figure it out. It's character. You figure it out. If I was single, and you said, dude, I got a girl for you to meet, blah, blah, blah, and she cheats on me, and I find out that you knew, yeah, she was a cheater, but I thought you'd dig her. I would be so hurt. Well, first of all, I don't know that I would set you up with somebody that was like that. Because it would be wrong. Yeah, but if I thought that this girl had done it in the past, and she was cool, still my friend, and I didn't think she would do that to you.
I might do that. You know, I might be okay with that. Holy Toledo. P1 Skyler. Are you there, Skyler? I'm here. What did you want to say? I wanted to find out if the girl who had been cheated on, if she's ever cheated before, if she's been in the same bag he has, and he's just the one who happened to do it again. Danielle? No. And Jessica knows that I'm not a cheater. I'm a really wholesome girl. I'm 25 years old. I'm at that point where I'm looking for Mr. Right. I've never been a liar. And she's a liar. Uh-oh. Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar. How is she a liar? She now wants to act like she's Miss Goodie Two-Shoes. When she knows, like, when we were in our earlier 20s and, like, 19 and stuff, she totally would mess around with lots of guys ever. No, no, no. Okay, now I got it figured out. Something's up, man. This girl, Jessica, Jessica, there's something that happened that we don't know, but you don't like her. Like, you did this. I don't think they like each other. I don't like her now. She's mad because every guy she's ever gone after has gone after me. Who said that? Jessica or Danielle? You so wish. You're the one who set me up with a cheater. You can't keep your own guys because they want me.
As new as to me. The reason why he told you he was a cheater is because you've had your own little indiscretions in the past and you're lying when you say that that's not true. This is ugly. This is not ugly. Holy cow. I'm not a whore, but I'm not a virgin either. P1, wait a minute. P1 Janessa, are you there? Okay, what did you want to say? I just wanted to say that listening to the two girls, it sounds a lot like Jessica was just trying to help out a friend who maybe in the past has proved herself a little bit of a handful for some boys and thought she could just have some fun. Maybe Danielle drove that guy to cheat this time because she sounds psycho. I can't believe what I'm hearing. I'm stunned right now. You guys just don't know Jessica. She's making herself sound like she's great. And yeah, no, she's not. Janessa? Yeah. You think it was okay for a girl to set another friend up with a dude she knows is a cheater? Has cheated. Has cheated. What's the difference? There is a difference. Okay, wait, wait, wait. Okay, wait, wait. There's a difference. The situation of the girls that he cheated on, she just knew that there were indiscretions. He said, she said, I mean, you got to go with your friend. Jerry. Jerry. Jerry. Jerry. Jerry.
Holy cow. Wow, dude. Wait a second. Let's talk, Ashley and Skye. Oh, no. Yes. Get our mic. Let's talk. Anyone. I love it. I am ready to chat. Hey, ball breaker. So what I said was, you guys think it's okay to introduce your girlfriend to a guy who is a cheater. And you guys said... was a cheater and i said and i did and i and i said was you said you said was a cheater no no i said cheated cheated and i said what's the difference right and i guess in my mind what i'm trying to figure out is okay so on you know thursday january 29th at that second he didn't have a girlfriend Therefore, he was not a cheater at that very moment. So I decided to set him up with my friend because he's not a cheater. He's not actively cheating. I mean, he doesn't have a girlfriend right now. And in front of me right now, he's got another girl that he's making up with. If that were the case, I could say he's a cheater. But at that moment, at Starbucks, he wasn't cheating on anybody. Hey, talker, are you listening? Tell me. Talker. Explain. Talker. Ashley, say what you just said.
I said we've all, and that's a general statement, maybe cheated before. No. That doesn't make us a cheater. That doesn't make us a serial cheater. You know, you could have maybe cheated once or twice in the past, but there's a difference between a person who has cheated before and somebody who lives for cheating. Somebody who cannot commit. Who loves to juggle. Let's ask Danielle. Let's ask Danielle which she thinks Steve is. Okay. Danielle. Yes. Steve. Good guy? Cheater? What do you think? You're the one that just got cheated on. What kind of guy? Are you really asking me this if he's a good guy? Seriously, he just cheated on me. Wow. No, but is he a good guy? Was he a good guy up until that point? It don't sound like it. Maybe you guys need to go on a double date. Why do you call a cheater a good guy at any point in time? Hey, listen. Jessica. Jessica. According to your logic and Sky's logic and Ashley's logic, you should set Steve up with another girlfriend. He hasn't done it. Listen, just because he's done it in the past and just because he did it to Daniel. Has. And listen, Danielle is in the past now. Yeah. Past tense. She can't guarantee that he'll cheat again. Yeah. In fact, he's a good guy. He's good.
He's a good guy. Yeah, Danielle. Yeah, Danielle. You wanted to vomit your guts out when you found out. It's in the past. Hey, I'm living proof of that a cheater can be turned around by the right woman. Stop saying that. It's true. It's true. It's true. It's true. How'd you do it? Sky. It's the worst. Just being awesome. Sky. Would she be some kind of prank? For sure. I wonder if there's a little projecting going on. I wonder if that's it. I wonder if, yeah, I wonder if people are hearing this and they're going, let me apply my husband to it. Well, that's what we, Or my girlfriend too. That's how we live life. But as I'm hearing it, I'm going, I don't want Eddie to set me up with a girl he knows is cheating. Maybe that's it. She's 30 years old and she has cheated twice in her lifetime of dating. Is that too much for you? Yeah, I'll answer that question by saying, I would rather Eddie is not aware of any cheating.
Do you want full disclosure? He's giving it the benefit of the doubt, okay? And if he does, that changes things dramatically. For instance, Skye, honestly, I don't know too much about your past in terms of that. I really don't. And if you were single and I knew a guy, I would say, hey, listen, she's a liberal and a whack job, but she's a sweetheart. Wait, wait, that's not true. I would feel relatively comfortable setting you up with a guy because I don't really know and I assume you're a good girl. You know what I mean? Right. I assume. Wow. If I knew for a fact, if I knew for a fact that a couple of times you went and did your thing, I don't know that. Over my whole life. We're talking from elementary school till now. Okay. If Jessica's telling us that this guy, and if Danielle is telling us that this guy, Steve, did this when he was in elementary school, fine, whatever. Danielle is whacked out. But. If Jessica knows that this friend of hers, Steve, cheated in his adult life, she's nuts. So which is it, girls? Well, I mean, he hasn't cheated at one point. I mean, he's not a dog. That's Jessica, right? Wait, wait, wait. That's Jessica, right? This is Jessica. They were not married. Okay, Jessica, Jessica, please. Has Steve cheated, to your knowledge, in his adult life?
A couple of times. Are you nuts? Are you nuts? Why didn't you tell Danielle? I didn't tell him. Does that change anything for you girls? No, but I'm asking her, why didn't you tell Danielle? Because something's up. Well, did you hear what she said? She didn't tell the other way either. She didn't tell Steve that Danielle... That's what she said. They've been friends since elementary school. Well, I know, but like... Ashley, you have a lot of best friends. You know what we're talking about. You know how this goes. A lot of best friends. My best friend. I cheated with my best friend. I love hysteria. If she says Steve's her best friend, then she says that he's a good guy, then I would trust her judgment to set him up. And if he's a cheater, he cheated, then maybe that wouldn't apply if he met the right girl. And I agree with Jessica. Ashley, you're so full of it. Hang on a minute. Hang on. We're taking a break, and when we come back, I'm going to call Ashley out. Drop kicker. No, Mike. You better take this. How many minutes is this next break, Ash? I don't even remember what I just said. How many minutes is this next break? What did I just say? You better take this commercial break to get an argument together. You better take this commercial break to get an argument together, because when we come back...
what I said. I am going to call you out when we come back. And Danielle and Jessica, please, I know you guys are mad, but don't, please don't go anywhere. Please, hang on a minute. Wait, Mike. What did I say? Nothing. You worry about it. Let me pull the clip. Yeah, yeah. I don't know what happened. I don't want to do this. I have to admit, Mike, I, that was my, that was my British, uh, other personality. Well, I used to talk without paying attention. Yeah. Rob, please try to convince those girls not to hang out. Jessica had to leave to go to work, which I think is very convenient. And Danielle is still on the line but has to go pretty soon, too. Are you there, Danielle? Yeah, I do have to go to work, but I hung in more than Jessica. She had to take the easy way out because she knows she's wrong. If you're just tuning in.
Jessica set her friend Danielle, the girl that we're talking to right now, up with her friend Steve. And Steve cheated on Danielle. And Danielle has been talking to mutual friends and has found out that Jessica was aware that the guy was a cheater. Oh, yeah, totally. She set two other of our friends up. Because we all kind of run in the same circle. Two other girls that she set up have been cheated on, too. And she knew it. So then we're supposed to be best friends. So we're both single. She knows that I'm looking for something serious. Then she sets me up with this guy that she knows is a cheater. According to Sky and Ashley, you deserve it. We never said that. We never said that. Jessica didn't do anything wrong. Once you get cheated on, then maybe you'll see what it feels like. I've been cheated on. I know exactly how it feels. If your best friend sets you up with a cheater with somebody that you know is a cheater, would you seriously still stay best friends with her? I'm sorry? I mean... No, I mean, if somebody sets... If your best friend sets you up with a guy she knows is a notorious cheater, would you stay friends with her? Well, see, that's the thing. She claims that he's not a notorious cheater, that he's cheated a couple times. Yeah, and his... She's lying. That's why she had to get off the phone. She's running because she doesn't know what she's going to say. She can't lie for much longer. Well, let's... Let me ask Ashley. What's that?
Oh, no. Here we go. I thought he forgot. Here we go. I thought he forgot. Because Ashley says that Jessica, you know, she was just being a friend. She didn't, you know, she set them up and then they're on their own and whatever. So I just want to ask Ashley, because one thing that I love to do with Ashley is ask, sometimes I like to ask Ashley, hey, Ashley, what if it was you? So let's just pretend that one of your girlfriends set you up with a guy. He cheats on you. And you find out she full well knew that this is the type of guy he was. What you're saying to me is that it would be no harm, no foul. You wouldn't be upset with her. She didn't do anything wrong at all by not telling you that he was a cheater in his adult life. I don't. That's an interesting question. Really? Really? Really? See, because I listen. Hey, listen, Ashley. I know you pretty good. We are friends, you and I. We know each other pretty well. I think, and I may be going out on a limb here, that you might want to remove her head from her body. Whoa. Knowing you, you might want to chomp her up into little pieces and throw her into the bay. I have Umbridge. And then take the parts and pour lighter fluid on her parts and light them on fire and then punt them into a field goal and then catch them on the other side and stomp on them and then spit on it. Hey, man. Tough love it is. Tough love. I have Umbridge, though, with the Jessica and Daniel. Oh, shit. You can take Umbridge with it as well. Yeah, take it. Yeah, there you go.
Because Jessica says that Steve was one of her best friends. And then Danielle said they all run in the same group. So, like, I find it hard to believe that Danielle had no idea who Steve was. And by putting myself in that situation, I would feel like I'd be smarter than that. And if not, then it's my bad. Danielle, what Ashley's trying to tell you is you're stupid. Ashley's trying to say you're dumb for not, you know, knowing that he was... Well, she's not saying that. But I think that's a good question, Danielle. You didn't know anything about this Steve guy, even though you all ran in the same circles? Well, I mean, it's kind of like the girls are in the same group, but I guess this guy just, I really didn't ever know about it because I've dated guys in the past and haven't really ever been interested in anybody else that's in the group. Ashley, there's your answer. Wait a minute, before you move on to your other question, listen to what she just said. Light her up. Yeah, whatever. Two other friends of Jessica's. She's not going to respond. Nope. Also were cheated on by Steve. Did you find this out after? And what, did you go do research? And if so, then why didn't you ask before? Like, I don't get it. No, because I didn't know when they, when I started dating him, then they were like, oh, by the way, you need to know that he is a cheater. And I didn't believe him, and then he cheated on me. So now I absolutely do. And they told me that Jessica was a backstabber, and I didn't believe him, and I kept on, you know, being friends with her. See, Danielle, I love them all. Danielle.
I have another question I want to ask. Daniel, I feel like there's a lot of... Even though you answered all my questions correctly, I have another question for you. Even though it seems like you're the victim here, the prosecution has more to say. Listen, guys, I don't buy your clothes. Daniel, I really think that you sound very immature, and I feel like maybe you should look within yourself and stop talking about me. When's the last time you met Sandy Ryan? Randy, Simon, Paula, when did you meet him? And inside yourself before you attack other people. Whoa, what? Okay, here's the thing. The whole come to Jesus session, I really don't need right now. I have to go to work. What does that mean? You guys never heard that phrase, the come to Jesus thing? Jesus meeting. Are we having one right now? Thank you, Danielle.
I have to go. Thank you. She's mad at Ashley. Yeah, she hates your guts, Ashley. What the hell are you two talking about? Well, the deal is, is that that Ashley goes at her and, you know. This is so rude. Ashley would do the same thing. She would kill a girl. She would kill a girl if a girl did not. You guys didn't hear what Danielle said. She said that two of her girlfriends told her that this guy was a cheat when they first started dating and she chose not to believe them. She stayed with them. Well, then she is. Well, then she's a monster. Yeah. Well, then she's a monster. She's a stupid, ignorant. How could she blame Jessica if she wasn't listening to people anyways that were trying to tell her? Listen, here's the deal. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. Use it. All you guys have to do is ask yourself, if Skye was in the same situation. Oh, goodness. And the girl that introduced her to the bunny boo didn't say a word. And a couple of other girls, Sky would think it was rumors. Well, I would have known. I mean, he's so hot. Like, how could, I mean, like, really? I'm ashamed for you. Yeah, with what he's working with. Like, I mean, you know what I'm saying? Well, with what he's working with. You know what I'm saying? Sky is really weird.
Just saying. I mean, like Ashley said, I have a brain. I can figure it out. So we get it. P1 Data Tech is on the line. Go ahead, Data Tech. We'll get to Ashley in a second. Why? Are you there? She wants it. Again? Didn't we hear her? Go ahead. I was just wondering if, I guess Steve knew that those guys were exclusive. You know, if Danielle and her were exclusive. Great question. Because they said it would have been going on for a couple of months. Yeah. I just thought it was a few weeks. That's a great point. I thought it was a few weeks. I'm having a hard time understanding the point since that phone line is so jacked up. Oh, I thought it was on a crystal clear. I can barely hear it. The tin can isn't working? I don't think it's his fault. This guy, I don't think it's his fault. It's a phone line. Sorry, what? P1. Hello. What? You want stew, dog. Hey, Mikey. What's up? You know, the angle, the interesting angle that I wish you would have asked is if Jessica and Steve have dated in the past, and, yeah, and if I'd be willing to bet that they, Jessica has been the cheating, like, they are friends with benefits, and I'd be willing to bet that Steve and Jessica, Steve has cheated with Jessica. What's the motivation to set your friend up?
with somebody that you've slept with or... Yeah, that seems a little far-fetched. I don't get it. I don't get it. I don't get the connection. Well, they're friends with benefits. They don't have a relationship. They just get hooked up. What's the motivation? Women don't have sex like guys because they just want to get their rocks off usually. Usually women sleep with guys because there's a little bit of emotion involved, especially if the guy is somebody that... girl has known for many, many years. And so I don't really see a woman saying, yeah, I'll sleep with you every once in a while, and oh yeah, I'm going to set you up with a friend too. That's really creepy. It doesn't add up as all, to me. I can't connect those dots. P1 Alisa. Yes, I just needed to call in and say, I'm a long time listener, first time I've called in, but I cannot stand how this guy is being painted out to be this nice guy after he cheated on this girl. I mean, if you're a nice guy, you break up with the girl. And I think that what Sky and Ashley are trying to say is, well, every single one of us has cheated. No. We've all cheated. That guy.
Yeah. That guy, Steve, he's cheated, you know, but we all have. And so that makes it okay. That doesn't make it okay. That's not. I'm just saying it doesn't make us all monsters because we've messed up in the past. And we don't, we still don't know if they were in a committed relationship. So if you're not committed to someone, how can you break up with them? Yeah, but the question is, shouldn't you disclose it? But I also. Ashley, go ahead. My goodness. I'm sorry, but I also take Umbridge with the fact that it's all Jessica's fault. All Jessica's fault. Why didn't Danielle ask? So tell me about this guy, Steve. Has he cheated? Is he a good guy? Tell me about him. That's on Danielle. I have to know who taught her Umbridge because it's just in my head now. I'll never let it go. Who taught you Umbridge? Nobody. You just made it up? Word of the day? No. Was it word of the day? No. It was not email. Did you trip over a dictionary? No. You're saying Umbridge a lot today. Because it came out of nowhere. No, I know that it did. And you've never said the word Umbridge. That's the thing is I have like a really big vocabulary in my head, but there's just certain things that will come out when there's certain situations where a word really works. And in this case, Umbridge is really doing the trick for me. Save that clip. Um... I don't want... Alisa? Yeah. I'm just saying this guy is an act... Like, he's a dog. He's just... If you cheat on a girl... You should be locked up. I mean...
forever you break up with a relationship no no sky is that the listen that's not it oh you just tell your friends if you know that or i got a crazy idea i got a crazy idea what's your crazy idea here's a crazy thought think about it maybe you know your friend steve's a cheater and you don't set him up with your girlfriend that's a crazy one you know stay out of it yeah you stay out of it you know you go hey listen that's the best thing i'll pick one of those crazy friends i have that doesn't do that I have to find one of those rare cases out there. If there's a girl, she can ask. If Eddie was single, you know he doesn't cheat. You'd set him up. With who? I mean, thank you. Come on. Look it up. Look it up. It's Mikey. On The Rock. It's not, it's not, it's not, Sky, that is not like a, that's not a thing. Maybe that is what's up. It's a, that word invokes happiness in P1s. Quimby, I would. There is no doubt about that. That word invokes happiness. Quimby. It does bring happiness. I want you to be solid in who you are and you don't have to be part of the boys club and play up to them and suck up to them. Or the girls club.
Or the ham club. You have to support somebody and not be hamlicious. Well, I'm not asking her to make fun of you guys. I'm just asking her not to make fun of me. But Skye, don't you think that that word brings happiness to the P1's hearts? No, it doesn't. Absolutely. It's stupid. But why is everybody laughing? Why is everyone laughing? Suck up to you guys, and that's suck. Suck up to us? Yeah. By saying ham? By telling you what you want to hear. Be an individual. Don't be a sheep. What? Quimby. A sheep. Yeah. No friends in 08. The ride never got too bad here this morning. Kind of a light one, but still a bit of a, you know, some rough spots out there. It's kind of the usual stuff. You've got southbound side of the 5. That's the busier ride this morning out of Encinitas down to Solana Beach. Your ride out of Escondido looking great on the south. 15, just a minor delay through Rancho Bernardo. West 52, just a bit of a delay at the top of the summit there. You've got the westbound 8, good to go until you get to that 805 where you make that transition northbound. Then you've got westbound 94. Not a bad ride at all. Just a minor delay in the downtown. Looking much better out of the South Bay. Both the 5 and the 805 northbound full speed through National City. 805, though, pretty rough once you get up into Kearney Mesa from the 163. Up towards Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5, you're looking fine in Domitian Bay coming out of downtown. I'm McLaurin and Rock 105.3. Featuring Tough Love with Eddie. Let me get this straight. Let me give you some figures on the Super Bowl. 7.5 million. That's the number of Super Bowl parties held each year. Whoa. More than any other at-home party is the Super Bowl. That's crazy. 7.5 million. That's crazy. Well, I mean, when you think about it, just about everybody you know, and yourself included, you know somebody that's having a Super Bowl party. Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, if you're not yourself, you know someone. That's having a Super Bowl party. It's just one of those deals. Or you probably have had a Super Bowl party in the past. At some point. We had one last year. As a matter of fact, we were going to make it an annual thing. And we just didn't get around to it this year. You guys went all out last year. That was impressive. Listen, every year it's going to get better.
How is that possible? I'm telling you, I loved it. Like a fire-breathing dragon next year? Well, now you gave it away. Oh, my bad. My bad. No, but it was fun, wasn't it? Oh, it was awesome. I want to do that again. Heck yeah. And Rebecca gave the thumbs up, but we didn't get to do it this year. But we're going to bring it back. We really like that Super Bowl party. 1.4, or excuse me, 141.4 million. That's the number of people that watch the Super Bowl. Watched it last year. A number of Americans who voted in the 04 election, 126, so about 20 million less people. Oh, brutal. The average calorie intake. Oh, I don't want to know. What do you think? It's way lower than I thought. Well, I don't know if you know this. Are we talking about Super Bowl day itself or just during the Super Bowl? Yeah, Super Bowl day. The whole day, calorie intake, 2,500. See, that's what I would have thought.
I would have said right in there. Yeah. But it's lower, Eddie. Really? Yeah. 1,500? No. 1,200 calories. That's not true. Well, when you think about it. That's not true. That's a fake stat. Think about what you're having. You're mostly having chips and dips. I know. I know. I know. But you get filled up on that stuff. And you don't eat. you know, 1,200 calories worth of chips and dip. But 1,200 calories is like what you eat in a day if you're healthy. If you're like working out and you're a healthy person eating chicken breast and veggies, that's 1,200 calories. Is it really? Yeah. Roughly. I don't know. This comes from Men's Health Magazine. Well, they're liars. I think so too. The most popular football snack accounting for 27 billion calories and 1.8 billion grams of fat on Super Bowl Sunday alone as a whole. What is it? Pizza. Chips. Nachos. Cashews. What? Maybe that's my house. What? Anybody else you guys got to guess? Pepperoncinis. Pepperoncinis. Pepperoncinis. What did you say? Buffalo wings. Buffalo wings. Anybody else? Beer. Sorry, Ashley. Anybody else? Sean, you got to guess?
I was actually... I was going to say wings as well. This guy got it right. Potato chips. Potato chips, because I want to see what everybody does. Let's see. What's the percentage of increase in antacid sales day after the Super Bowl? In what? Like Tums? Tums. Okay. Tums. Eddie. 250%. Wow. Really? Put it on the board. I'm not going to. Sky. 33.3%, Mike. Bad guess. Ash. Can you hear me? Yeah. 50. 50? Yes. Billion. Shut up. Rob. What was everybody's guesses, Mike? Well, Eddie said 250%. This isn't the price is right. Sky said 33%.
Ash said 50. I'll go 34%, Bob. Wow, wow, 1%. Why is he after me today? It always happens on Fridays. I don't know why. What is his problem? I'm sorry. Shawnee. 249%. Really? Really, Sean? Seth? It's the infection talking. What? 85. What, Seth? Let's see. Who was the closest? Ladies and gentlemen, Sky was the closest. Antacid sales increased 20% the day after the Super Bowl. What do I win? You win. You get to answer another question. As long as you're right, Sky, you get to keep playing. Well, wait. Everybody else, you just get to keep playing. Cool, that's perfect. Oh, I like it. It's a good game. Let's see here. The depth to which the 43.8 million pounds of avocados consumed on Super Bowl Sunday would fill a stadium. How deep would it be? How many pounds? No, how many feet? I know, but you said pounds. Oh, 43.8 million pounds. That's what we eat in avocados. Delicious. As Americans. Yeah. How many feet would that be? I know this one. Eddie?
I went first last time. Sean scams me every time. Sean, you scammer. We're talking depth. Depth. 10 feet. Sky. 5 feet. Eddie. 11 feet. Rob. It's 37 feet, Mike. What? You're so dumb. Ashley? You said 43,000 pounds? No, I did not. I said 43 million pounds. Oh, yeah. Like 100 feet. Okay, so you're saying, like, if people were putting their feet... I don't get it. ...into avocado, it's like... That's gross macamole. That's just gross, guys. I don't want to think about it. It's us. What's that, Seth? Let's see who was right. Who was right, Mike? Come on. Eddie was right. Oh, my God. Wait, wait, wait. Eddie. You mother... Oh, my God.
Oh, let me erase that from the board. Let me just take that down. It's not that hard. Sean nailed it exactly with 10 feet. I swear, I'm so sorry, dude. I swear. This is unbelievable. I protest. Wow, Sean, you are a smart man, Sean. Wow, I didn't know you had it in your list. Wow. I refuse to play. It's just tedious to nail something like that, Sean. Wow. I'm sorry. I didn't. What are you kissing his ass for? Well, I'm not. I'm just trying to upset you. Yeah. Hey, how about this one? Another percentage. I'm out. No, you're doing it. I'm not going to play anymore. Stop it. Come on. Eddie, you'll do fine. You're going to be great on this one. You give me the gold medal and take it back? What am I, Marion Jones? You're going to have to hold a press conference later. Explain that you were not taking any thought enhancements. No. All right. Percentage of increase in the number of fatal heart attacks among men on days when their football team lost at home.
The increase in the number of fatal heart attacks among men on the days when their football team lost at home. We will begin this time with Skye. I would say 17%. Good guess. Sorry. Ashley? I would say probably like 10%. Maybe. Zeth. Three. How's that, Zeth? Three. Wait a minute. Ashley, you said what? Ten. Eddie. Come on, dude. You got... Two. Come on. Two. All right. Rob. Eighteen percent, Mike. What is your problem saying? Sean. Nineteen percent, Mike. Oh, hey. You pigeonholed me. Guys, Sean won again. No. Get...
I'm not playing anymore. He clearly has this list in front of him. And it's not cool. There is a 28% increase in the number of fatal heart attacks among men. Genius. On days. Good job, Sean. How'd you come up with that? Alright, one more. One more and we're done with it. Okay, Sean's right. Great. This is a good one. Number of TV sets sold the week before Super Bowl. Number of them? Number. Like in America? Number. In the U.S.? In the United States. U.S. Americans. I would say U.S. Americans sell. Okay. All right. Let's start with Boston Rob. Oh, God. Number of TV sets sold the week before the Super Bowl. Wow. I'm going to go. With 21 million. That's a lot of sets. Yeah, but there's like 300 and something million people. It's only the week before. Forget it. Oh, it's only a week? Never mind. Number of TV sets sold the week before the Super Bowl. What are you going to say? Do you say 21 mil? 210,000. 21 million. He wants 10% of that. Yeah. 210,000. So bizarre.
Sky. I will go 211. That's a good number, though. How about you, Seth? 1.1 million. I can't hear it. What is he saying? I can't hear a word he's saying. 1.1 million. I don't know. He's crying or something. Ashley. Size? Five sets. Five TV sets or something. No, no, no, no. No, I said the number of TV sets sold the week before the Super Bowl. I'd say stay with five. The answer is nine TV sets are sold. 51,462 then. 51,462. What if Ashley nailed it exactly? Sean? I'll say 500,000. Oh, there's the answer.
Because I'm cheated. Screw all you. Yeah. Eddie? 501, Bob. Yes. 501,000. Yeah. You guys are going to find this hard to believe, but Zeth. What? Zeth? Who's that? That's a kid in the corner. Oh, that guy. Really? That guy. The leafy one. Zeth said 1.1. The leafy one. Wow. The leafy? Weepy. No, the weepy. Zed said, he guessed it, 1.1 million TV sets are sold and 1.5 million TV sets are sold in the United States the week before the Super Bowl. I knew it. I wonder what... Hey, Tony, if Tony's listening from Wireworks, I bet they were humming this week. I bet they do every week, man. Super Bowl week, setting people up, getting surround sound, and the high definition, that has got to become a priority this week.
I think what we should do right now, we could take a vote, but I think what we should do... And now it's time for Bombed at the Beach. It's a little Bombed at the Beach. I love Bombed at the Beach. The way that the game works... Is that he wins? Oh! Every time! I'm going to write down a number. I'm going to write down... I just wrote down a number, okay? And the number that I wrote down is a number between 1 and 100. Out of the three guests that we have in the studio today, the person that comes the closest to this number is going to be able to play Bombed at the Beach. We will begin with... Where's my list of names? Here we go. Let's begin with P1 Nick. What is your guess? 65. P1 Panda Slews. 55. And P1 Quimby.
Panda Slews is the winner. Oh, wow. The number I wrote down was 53. Wow. So P1 Panda Slews gets to play Bombed at the Beach. That's right. Okay. Now, what you got to do, though, because especially today, Panda Slews, we're really having issues with the microphones. Make sure the microphone is approximately this far away. That is perfect. All right. That is perfection. All right. This is what we do. We have you call right now, 570-1053. You give us a call, and you are going to pick a horse. You're going to pick Eddie, or you're going to pick Panda Slews, or you're going to pick... Should she be playing for herself? She'll play for herself. Let's pick Eddie, or you pick Sky, because three people play. Or Sean. Or Sean. And one of us doesn't get to play. One of them doesn't get to play. Yeah. Got it. Sean has a facial infection. Shut up. Yeah, but that shouldn't have anything to do with his... I'm just saying sometimes he runs a fever and, you know, it's delusional. Sky's better than Sean at this game, for sure. P1 UPS. Who would you like to select, bro? I'm going to go with the Oracle, dude. There you go. Automatic win. Automatic win. Put it on the board. It's a good guess. I'm not going to put it on the board. You will put it on the board. I will not. P1 Sanjaya. Good morning, Sanjaya. Oh, my goodness, you guys. It's Sanjaya. What's up, Mikey? How you doing, dude? Good, man. I'm going to go on my draw.
Oh, look at you. That's what we're talking about. Look at you. All right, hang on the line, please. All right. And finally, P1 Antics. What's up, Mikey? What's going on, man? Same stuff, different day. Who would you like to select? I'm going to take you. I don't think I... Did we make a rule where I don't play or can I play? I can play? I don't want to, but I will. Hang on. It's a fun game. I know it, but I feel like I'm not feeling it today. Some days I'm feeling smart. Have Sean play. You'd be the host. Now I got excited. Okay, then don't play. Wait, play. But I don't want to. What are you doing? Yeah, but I want to play. What do you want to do? I don't know. Huh? Don't do it. Hey. Call it. Come on. We've got to talk about this. What did we ever talk about? About doing these movie lines that we haven't seen. I'm not spinning it anyway. Stop it. What? All right, fine. I'm going to play. Here's how it works. Are you sure? I don't know. Now you got me thinking. Now you got me thinking. Should I not play? Just play. All right, here's how we do this. Sean, you're playing, all right? He's infected. That's true. I better play. Get in the game. Get in the game.
All right, here's how we do it. We send Ashley down to the beach to a bar. She asks drunk people questions. They're very easy questions. And then we wager on whether or not they'll get those questions right. It's a lot harder than it sounds. Yeah. Which is why I'm indecisive. It's a strategy. All right, here we go. This is Ashley meeting the first person. What's your name? Annie. Yeah, it's okay. And what have you had to drink tonight, Annie? Cranberry vodka. How much? And I'm Patron. What two teams are playing in this year's Super Bowl? Oh, boy. Oh, my goodness. She sounded pretty buzzed. For sure. And I am going to predict a jackass answer. I think she's going to say something stupid. But then there's another part of me saying, nope, she wants to show the world how much she knows, and it's in there somewhere. The answer is the Giants and the Patriots. I will say...
Sober, she gets it. Drunk, she tries. Doesn't come to her easily. So she gives up very quickly. I will say, no, she doesn't get it. Eddie? You almost talked me into it. But, I mean, how could you not know? I mean, it's everywhere. It's in your face. Even, what, Sky? You wouldn't have known? I couldn't think of the Giants. Oh, no. I kept saying the Cowboys. See? I'm like, wait, no. No. She has a point. No. Uh-oh. I mean, I am a little buzzed right now. Skye's buzzed. Skye's buzzed. I'm going to say she's going to get this. You're going to say she's got it. P1 Panda slews. I don't know. I'm going to think... I think she's going to say no. She's not going to know. Eddie, you're saying she will. I don't know. Skye? Yeah, I say no. And I also guarantee she vomited last night. Yeah, I would think that. So, Eddie's out on a limb. Eddie's the only guy that says she's going to know who's playing in the Super Bowl. Here we go. And I'm not sure of the other one. Oh!
Well, that is true. We're not done. How did she get it then? It came to her. It came to her drunk mind. I was right there. It's like when B-Roll plays Dunkin'. I swear to God and you know I would have your back. the two of them. What was the girl saying? You were distracted. What was that girl saying? Okay, we're going to listen. Yeah, listen again, bro. I think you're right, though. We got to be quiet. We got to be quiet because I want to hear if a friend is giving any information there. Let's listen back. Patriots. I'm not sure of the other one. Yes. I'm recording. Oh, my God. No, help me. No, help me. What is she saying? Like you were on the phone or you were something? That wasn't her.
I know the friend is saying something like, it's almost like, well, it sounded like, but I'm going to give it to her. I'm going to give it to Eddie. But it sounded like she was saying something like, you were on the phone, you were on the phone. Like, maybe she's talking to somebody in New York. Oh, the Giants. Is that right? Yeah, fine. What is this four-year school? Okay, I'm giving it to her. Eddie, you got it. Thank you. That was a tough one. It was clear. It was, Eddie. She said, Ashley was standing there and Ashley says, listen. Nobody helped this girl. She got it. Holy Toledo. Sure. I'm the best. All right, here we go. You're the worst. Are you ready? She's asking me questions. Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. So annoying. Holy cow. These girls are good. Who can answer the next one? Okay. Annie. Okay, you're Annie now? Yeah, man. Okay. Yeah, man. To clarify. Yes? It's now her friend who was on the phone while I was interviewing the first girl. Oh. Who said, what are you recording? And then she goes, I'm going to be Annie. And so now it's her playing for the rest of the game. Well, I don't know how drunk she is. Well, but she was, like, she yanked the mic from her hands. Well, tell us how drunk she was. Hammered. Okay. Hammered.
Equally as hammered. Equally as hammered. Was she skinnier or larger than the other girl? Same size girls. I know they're listening, so I don't want to be like, who's fatter? Same size girls, drinking the same thing, equally as drunk. I made sure of that because she yanked it off her hand. Now the slogan is actually, we'll leave the light on for you, but it's so close, we'll leave the light on. They should get it. It sounds exactly the same. Eddie, will she know what company uses the slogan, we'll leave the light on for you? Or we'll leave the light on. The friend actually sounds more drunk and more annoying. So I'm thinking there's going to be a jackass answer or something's wrong about the answer. So I'm going to say no. She will not know.
We always state what the answer is way before we ever get to it. The answer is Motel 6, for those of you that didn't know. We're just trying to figure out whether this girl is too drunk to know that. P1 Panda Sleuths, what do you think? I'm going to say no. Same logic Eddie's using, I say no. Sky. Yeah, I'll say no as well. I am going to say, this girl sounds like she's in college. But she also sounds to me like when she was living at home, she was a latchkey kid. Wow. You know a lot about her. I do. What are you talking about? Which means that her best friend growing up was the television. Spent a lot of time with Tom Bodette. Are you projecting? Yes. Okay. And I will say, she's heard Tom Bodette say a million times, we'll leave the light on for you. And she's going to connect. Motel 6, so I say yes, she'll get it. Wow. Here's the answer. Oh, that is what? Super 8. Nice. Is Super 8 even a motel? I don't want to play. I don't want to play. I'm on fire. Duh. Question number three. We get it, Quimby. You love Eddie, okay? Who doesn't? We all know the score, Quimby. You don't have to keep reminding us. Here we go.
Harbor located. Where is Pearl Harbor located? The answer is Hawaii. Who are we talking to at this point, Ashley? It's the same chick from the rest on, right? Yes. The friend. Yeah, she took over. Alright, we are going to go to P1. Panda Slews, you started last time, right? No. Eddie did? Okay, Panda Slews. What do you think? Will she know that? Where is Pearl Harbor located? Hawaii. I think... Yeah, I think she'll know. I mean, she sounds like she's probably in college. I mean, everybody should know that. Skye. Yeah, I agree. I say yeah, but only because she saw the movie. Okay. Not because of any education. She saw the movie. She loves Ben Affleck. Eddie. It's a great call, and now I agree, yes. Nice. Here's the answer. Pearl Harbor is in Hawaii. Yeah. Hawaii. Okay. There you go. What's the score now, Quimby? 3, 2, 2, 1. Alright, so Eddie, you are leading. Yes, I am. And then Panda Slews. You are the best at this, Eddie. Skye, gotta come back. And then me. Let's take a quick time out. When we come back, we're going to finish and we're going to go to a different person. I can't wait to see how drunk Rod is. So we'll talk to Rod when we come back. Why can't you just have a coat?
Nervous about tomorrow? Actually, I've never been so scared in my entire life. Cellular memory. Now take the bandages off. Tell me what you see. In which transplant recipients display characteristics of the donor. His eyes were these. Your eyes now and they're working. Shouldn't matter where they came from. Today. Things happening to me. Seeing things I shouldn't see. If you could see death. You're scared. It's not real. Just befoiled. Isn't it? Able to stop. Seeing what she saw. P1 Allen, you went into sleep train in San Marcos. I sure did, Mikey. Went in there. We were going to get the queen. Told them I was the P1. They upgraded us to the California king and took $1,200 off the price. Yeah, it was nice. And they gave us the pillows, mattress cover, sheets, everything for free. Free delivery. All of that just because I said I was the P1. There are certain things in my life that I considered no-brainers.
At the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. But there's also things like when I talk about AIS and when I talk about Sleep Train, these are no-brainers in life. If you're doing anything other than Sleep Train or AIS, it's not the best decision you could be making. Sleep Train is the best decision. you can be making if you need a mattress. It was an awesome mattress, too. The Beautyrest Plush Paris. I mean, it's gorgeous. That's nice, dude. That's nice. Sleep Train in San Marcos. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Thanks, dude. So I'm out here on the streets talking to actual Rent-A-Wheel customers and finding out why they went to Rent-A-Wheel for their wheels and tires. Hey, this is Art, and I want to spend a bunch of money up front on my 22s. That's right, man. At Rent-A-Wheel, you can just make small monthly payments, right? Exactly. That's why I got money for other things. So, Patty, tell everybody why you went and bought your rims and tires at Rent-A-Wheel. See, I have to tell you, when I went over there, they made me feel really good, and all the guys were really nice. And, of course, they gave you the best price in town on your 20s. Oh, you know this. Yeah, that's true. And you tell us what she's singing.
P1 Antonio, can you give me title or artist on that one? Pink? The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back. TV show Lost. Welcome back. It's 9.06. Microsoft has offered over $44 billion to buy Yahoo. Sawyer's in the casket and NFL is unlikely too. It's Ben. It's Ben. It is Sawyer. It's Ben. Do you want to check out our blogs? Yeah. Mine is bad today. Mine is awesome. Two sentences. Mine was awful. Rob's is pretty tart funny. Today? Yeah. Oh, dude. I was on a roll. It's so weird. It's not weird. Well, dude, you were dreaming about driving around in a bathtub. That's weird. That is awesome.
Yeah, I want to see now. Make me curious. We'll get back to bombed at the beach here in just a second, but now I got to see. I had two wicked weird dreams last night, and in both of them, I was pulled over and arrested. The weird thing about it was that I was driving in a tub. That's right, a bathtub. I remember that I was speeding the first time. In the tub. Yeah. In the tub. I got pulled in the tub, and I know I was pulled. by the same cop both times, pulled over by the same cop. The second time I was pulled, the cops asked me to step out of the tub, then put the cuffs on wicked loose, and I was debating on running when I woke up. It was awesome. I didn't have to run. I was like, whew, free. Then Rob goes on to a different thought where he says, I think men need to come up with a new word for a belly button.
Let me brainstorm for a minute. Maybe the gut dimple. Ab notch. Or navel notch. Holder. Or, if you have an innie, then maybe the reverse nipple. If you have an outie, if you have an outie, how about vomiting bubble gum or stomach hole. I said belly button on the air today. And the word is wicked feminine. Never realized it. Try it. Say it out loud. You don't sound so tough, Slick. You don't. This week I have been doing I Am Legend pull-ups. Don't read this out loud. Don't read this out loud. I saw the movie last week.
And ever since, I have been doing the pull-ups that Will Smith does in the movie. Dork. They're wicked hard. They're wicked hard to do. But I do them in sets of tree. Eight to nine reps a set. I am going to be honest here and say that when you do them, it looks cool. Eddie is probably reading this, laughing at me, and saying, Whatever, guy. No, and to that I must say, whatever, guy. Yeah, Rob does have an interesting blog. Yeah, trying to figure out what to blog about today. He has a lot of things in the mind. He does. Guy's got a lot of thoughts on a lot of things. All right, let's get back to the game. Next up was Rod. Test one, two. That was on there. How are your levels? My who? Your levels? I guess they're pretty good.
Wow. Hey, what's your name? Rod. And what have you had to drink tonight? I've had... Michelob Ultra. Oh, delicious. Healthy, watching your figure. Yeah. Okay, let's ask you a couple questions. Academy Award-nominated actor recently passed under mysterious circumstances. Well, the answer is Heath Ledger. And this guy sounds wasted. Yeah. Yeah, he does. He sounds like Heath Ledger. I went into the bar and asked the bouncer. Eddie, what is that look that said, anyone? Anyone? Too soon? Go ahead, Ash. And I asked the bouncer. I went into the tavern. Where else would I go? And I asked the bouncer, who is the drunkest person in here? And he's like, that guy. Right up to Rob. Nice. Do I start? I don't think Sky started yet. Correct.
This guy. Yes, Mike. Will this guy know Heath Ledger has just died? No. Like, he didn't even hear the question past Oscar nominated. Sober he knows. In fact, he talked about it with friends. They discussed it. He's distracted by Ashley. He's distracted by drunk. Michael Abel. I say it's in there. He'll get it. He's going to answer correctly. Eddie. Man, I am back and forth on this one. I'm going to say he... I'll say no. He doesn't know. Do you want Panda Slews? I'm going to say yes, because it's been everywhere. All over the news, all over. All right, so me and you say yes. Eddie and Skye say no. His answer. Keith Ledger. Yes!
Yeah, say that. Keith Ledger. Sean, do you have that? Did you get it? Oh, wow. Keith Ledger. Ladies and gentlemen, a new drop on the Mikey Show. Question number two. It is known as the Peach State. Without looking at the sheet. Georgia? Georgia is the Peach State. He knows that. I'm going to say. He's got too many opportunities to say the wrong thing. I'm going to say no. 49 other guesses. Is that how many states there are? Well, forget it. I don't even know. Oh, man. I thought there was 51 states. How many states are there? 50? 50 states. Plus Georgia. Anyway.
Yeah, because they say the other 48 or whatever the phrase is. The other 48? That old hackneyed phrase. Yeah, I have that. Ichabod Crane. Wow, that's a hell of a callback. That really hurt. Great callback. Really hurt. Nobody got it but us. That's right. It was great, though. I didn't even get it. Yeah, I don't think there was any. I don't think there was any. Wow. There's no chance he gets it. No way. None. Zero. P1 pandas lose. No, the dude's plastered. Skye. Make your move, Skye. Make your move. Now or never. You better do it. Okay, sorry, Sanjaya. I'm going to say yes, he gets it. Oh, wow. This could be it. Peach is Georgia. Skye is back in the game. Holy cow. How the hell did you say that? How did you know this? What a weird guy.
Were you just taking a chance? Well, yeah, because I have to play the odds at this point. You had to make your move? Yeah. Holy moly. My goodness, man. That was great. Outrageous. All right, question number three. Sky, it's going to come down to this. Here's the third one. Are the two Democrats left in the presidential race? It's Pantaslu starts, right? Yeah, he starts. What do you think, Eddie? Well, the answer is Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Eddie, what do you think? No, I don't even think he's going to know, like, one of them. I'm going to say no. P1 Pandas lose. I'm going to go on a limb and say yes. See, for some reason I think he knows this, but at the same time there's such a high potential for a stupid answer with the Hillary Clinton or that dude or something. I'm going to say yes. I'm going to say yes, he will know it. He will know it.
So you can either take the lead or be behind. I guess it doesn't, my answer, it doesn't matter at this point, but I'm going to say, I'm going to say he knows. Oh. Eddie out on a limb. I'm going to say he knows. Zip. His answer. Democrats, we got McCain and Mitt Romney. Booyah! Oh, sweet. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. Shut up, Eddie. Who knew? I know it, Eddie. You're the best. What a shock. Eddie. Brilliant upset. You deserve it. Sky, congratulate Eddie. No, thank you. No, go ahead. Get in there and really congratulate him, Sky. Out of anybody. Sky, go give him a kiss now. You know how to do this. The Mikey Show. Oh, yes.

A lot of people want to come see the top chef, Brian Malarkey. So, yes, be sure to ask for me. I'm more than happy to come out and say hello. Brian was on the TV show, Top Chef. And let me tell you, if you've never been to Ocean Air, you've heard me talk about it. And what did I say to you off the air, Quimby? What did I say to describe it? Special. Special. I just said it. How did she forget what I just said? I just said it. A lot going on today. You just said it. I said that Ocean Air is special, man. That food is so, so good. It's one of the best restaurants. Yeah, that's right. It's one of the best restaurants in San Diego. If we're talking seafood, forget it. It's the best in San Diego. No two ways about it. It's just so good. And right now, you guys are doing Restaurant Week, right, Brian? Yeah, it's really exciting. There's 150 restaurants in San Diego County that are taking part in the Restaurant Week right now. And it's great. It's a three-course meal. There's either a $30 plane or a $40 plateau. And you get three courses for that amount of money. And the Oceania, we're doing three courses for $40.
And because it's been so busy and so exciting and so many people have been coming down to the restaurant, we've decided to extend it through next Friday the 8th. And we're not messing around. We're not messing around down in the ocean. You know, we're supposed to give three first course choices, three entrees, and three desserts. We're opening it up. We have no less than eight choices in each category. Are you kidding me? I like the whole menu for $40, so come on in. Where do they go now? That's not cool. Oh, my goodness. That's nuts, man. So we are booked up tonight and starting to really be booked out for tomorrow. But all next week, you guys can come on down there for $40 and have three courses. It's a lot of fun. Okay. Now, people really need to get that. See, Ocean Air is a nice joint, and it's one of these places where... It's usually it can get up there in terms of cost. And so it's a very kind of special occasion type place. This is why right now you go, hey, 40 bucks a person. Yeah, 40 bucks may seem like a lot to a lot of people, but you're getting a three course meal at one of the best.
Fine dining. Restaurants in San Diego. I'm talking food that will blow your head off. Your head will come flying off your head. I love it. It really is. It's really good food, man. It's really good food. It's on 4th Street downtown. What is that, Brian? 4th and J. 4th and J. Yep. You know, it was one of those deals where I remember that a friend of mine asked me about it. It was probably two years ago now. And Rebecca went to France. My wife went to France. She won't eat seafood. And so my friend said, hey, Rebecca doesn't eat seafood. You want to go have seafood? And I said, yeah. I said, where are we going? He goes, you've been to Ocean Air? And I said, no. And I'd never heard of it. I'd never been to it. And he goes, oh, I got to take it to Ocean Air. So we went there and I flipped out, Brian. I mean, I flipped out, dude. I said, I can't believe I've never heard of this restaurant. And it's just an amazing, amazing. dining experience of food is really really good and so all next so people can call uh now or today or whatever to get in on the reservations for next week yeah you can call it anytime it's 619-858-2277 and i'm going to be there um i'm taking tomorrow night off and of course i'm taking sunday off to watch the football game but i'll be there all next week also so come on down say hi to me say check out the restaurant
And it's a great time to come downtown right now because a lot of times people are worried about parking, but we got no baseball. There's no conventions in town. This is your downtown San Diego, so come check it out and take a walk after dinner like a nice European person would, you know? Hey, and I'm going to tell you, and this is for real, don't wait because it's going to fill up. I mean, it's going to fill up. Rebecca and I went to dinner. We said we were going to do one of our last dinners because we're... So broke. And I said, let's do our last hurrah. And we went to Pample Moose on Monday night because it's close to home. And we pulled in there and we went, oh, no, I think they rented out the restaurant because every parking space was full. Oh, wow. And we went in there. And because it's restaurant week, those reservations just blow up. So if they're extending, if Ocean Air is extending, call right now. Because otherwise, they'll fill up next week. You'll be out of luck. Yeah, come on down. I appreciate it, you guys. You're a good guy, Brian. Thanks a lot, man. I appreciate it. You too. Thanks a lot. We'll see you down there. We'll talk to you soon. Peace out. It's Brian Malarkey. And a guy knows how to cook. Crab cakes. A guy can take a piece of fish, turn it into something real good. I keep doing walking around so much, so get back there and cook me my food, man. Yeah, dude. What's up with you, Brian? Come on, man. Come on, bro. Let's cook this up this month. A swordfish, baby. Yeah, dude.
I love Mason swordfish. Swordfish is good. Yeah, it's real good. It doesn't taste like this guy. I'm sure it does. All right, what's going on? What do I got to tell you about? Did you have something that you wanted me to do real bad, Eddie, or can I do whatever? I'm going to say do whatever, buddy. Let's blow it out, dude. Blow it out. Free reign, bro. That's great. Real good. Do it up real good. Yeah. Leg it up, smack it, rub it down. I wasn't saying that at all. Skye, what's coming out in the movie theaters this weekend? Movie releases come out on Friday. Yeah. And so... What is, is it a cornucopia of different films? Oh, yes, Mike, that's definitely how I'd describe it. Out today we have The Eye, which is Jessica Alba, who's, she's blind, and she receives a rare double cornea transplant, which restores her sight, but then real creepy, frightening stuff starts happening. Cut 47. Like nothing's wrong. That line's already been used. Don't seem to see me.
I'm seeing things that aren't real. I'm seeing things I shouldn't see. Stick to Fantastic Four. Thank you. Tell us all about it, Jessica. Cut 45. The sanity aspect of it was certainly one of my favorite parts of the movie. You know, my character, am I really losing my mind? Or is this something that I am seeing? Like, am I really crazy here? I think that is the most terrifying thing is... thinking that you have lost touch with reality completely. I'm insane! What else, Skye? Strange Wilderness out today. What is that? What are you talking about? It looks kind of like a stoner comedy. Who's in it? Justin Long, Steve Zahn. Any relation to Sarah Long? No. So it's a group of animal enthusiasts, and I guess they have some TV show about animals, but it's failing, so they try and boost their ratings by doing some stuff. Genius. No, it looks funny. It does. Cut 50. I want you all to understand that when we head into the Kokonga wilderness, we'll be going into a bad, dark place where death is about as routine as a change of pants. Well, this crew here, we've been through some pretty hair adventures of our own.
We've gotten a few scars over the years ourselves. Isn't that right, Fred? Oh, yeah. I mean, look at this one. Eight years old. Fell off my bike. Give me more. Yeah, I want more, too. That sounds really funny. You got more clips? Oh, my God. I bet they're good. Oh, please, one more. Cut 51. Let me take a hit first. Bears are large and brown. Come on. Not all bears are large. What about baby bears? Bears drive their name from a football team in Chicago. No. It's the other way around. It is estimated that bears kill over 2 million salmon a year. Attacks by salmon on bears are much more rare. All right, that's got to be true, right? All right, let's go with that one. Yes, that was kind of funny. I have to see this. Good time. Me too. We'll go together. All right. I'll drive. What else is playing? And then finally out today, if you're able to get tickets, Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus.
Best of both worlds concert in Disney 3D. Cut 53. We ready to rock here tonight or what? She comes out, she's like, What's up, St. Louis? We're in Chicago. Watch the party and get drunk! If you want to take them to see this, some of the shows for tonight are already sold out locally. It's not easy. So you have to take them to like the daytime showings if you want to get tickets. I'm sure there'll be scalpers in front of AMC. Yeah, true. I got mine on Fandango. Oh. I'm just really thrilled about the success of everything and everything that's gone on. I just think it's been really, really great. I just, you know, for me it's a thrill ride and I just kind of try to, you know, I just want to strap, you know, in and just enjoy the ride. I'm telling you, I'm still fascinated by
What is the cutoff? At what age is it not cool anymore? Hannah Montana. How old can kids be to enjoy the Hannah Montana? 13. Eddie says 13. But you know there's closet Montana fans. They won't say it. Zath. Oh, he did not like that. He didn't like it. Stop it. He goes, really? We're going over to me, Eddie, and... Zeth and Ashley on over to Skies for the Super Bowl. And Zeth is going, and I thought, wow, that's really weird that he's not hanging out with Rob because the two of them are very, very close. And I realized, oh, wait a minute. Rob probably won't let him. Oh, definitely not. Right, Zeth? Nope. Rob is very clear that he has superstition and that if certain people are not there,
Or if certain people are there, it could mess up the Patriots. Yeah, dude. Oh, come on. Star's got to be aligned right. It's the truth. Look, Quimby has a look on her face like, for real? It's true. Yeah. It's totally true. Even with those playoff games, even with normal season games. Quimby, that includes us. Oh, yeah. Big time. Yeah. Like, we're not allowed over either. He won't come over to my Super Bowl party. And he won't go to Skies. No. What a jerk. Yeah, that's what I thought. You're a jerk. You'd harass me the whole time. You crazy guy. Yeah, you guy. You guy. Go for the Patriots. Hey, dude. Hothead. Relax. Jeez. Come on. Oh, my gosh. Holy cow. I'll just stop punching. Oh, my gosh. Sorry, Rob. Where's my backpack? It's okay. It's riding shotgun. You know that. You're right. Oh, man. You guys want to hear Bill Clinton confronting a heckler? Yeah. Really? When did he start doing stand-up? He confronts a 9-11 heckler. Now, I've heard about this. What does that mean? I think it's great. I've heard about this and I commend Clinton. Apparently, it's a nut job. You know, Charlie Sheen. Sky. Yeah. A person that believes that 9-11 was like orchestrated by the government. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. I never said that. You believe it privately. You won't say it out loud. There's some interesting stuff out there. Of course there is. There's some interesting stuff out there. You can't just, you have to hear it all.
Take the information and gather it in. We're not cheap. We need to think for ourselves. We have to think for ourselves. Gather the data. That's right. Cut 38. What are you screaming about? Let him talk. Support a new nation into the attacks of 9-11. Are you one of those that was an inside job, guys? Let me tell you something. The great thing, first, Hillary agrees we should end the war. Pause. Pause. He doesn't want Hillary to be president. No. I'm telling you. I'm telling you, there was a time where I was on the fence about it. Then I went from being on the fence about it to thinking, I think he might not. I'm really feeling stronger about it. And I'm telling you, I am 100% sure he does not want Hillary to be president. No. No two ways about it. Unpause. But we've heard from you now.
9-11 was not an inside job. It was an Osama bin Laden job with 19 people from Saudi Arabia. They murdered 3,000 Americans and other farmers, including... over 200 other Muslims, and we look like idiots, folks, denying that the people who murdered our fellow citizens did it when they are continuing to murder people all around the world. So we hear from you, you go away. Yes! You go away. Sean is freaking out. That was so uncool. Hey, Sean, what were your thoughts in the beginning? Because I could see that you were real excited before he even started. Well, yeah, dude, like in the very beginning when he's like, oh, hold on. Now, wait, let him talk. What is he saying? I love that. I love the honesty with this guy. Calm down. He loves Clinton. He does. He loves Clinton. You have a fever. The guy had one misstep, okay? Otherwise, the best president that ever lived! Okay. All right, Sean. Yeah! Please, calm yourself. Oh, my God. That guy was an idiot. Oh, no.
Kill you! It's all right, Sean. See what I mean? That's a Clinton supporter. That's a Clinton supporter for you. That's a guy that voted for Clinton. It's a little extreme, Sean. He likes Bill Clinton. He's going to kill me. You like Hillary too, right? He's a liar and was almost a downfall of the country. Guy lied right in front of the American public, probably about many things. Oh, yeah. And why did he? Because the Republicans were unfairly attacking him. Unfairly attacking him? Yes. By asking him a question? Dude, they set the whole thing up. Oh, you're a clown. They set him up. You're Charlie Sheen. You can't start to set him up, dude. I love it. They wanted to destroy him. Totally. I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Sean, thank you so much. For supporting me. I don't talk to that, Bill. I only talk to the one who just lived. No, you talk. You will. You will talk to me. You will. Look, you made a mistake. What are you going to do? I did. Don't kill him. Don't kill me. Who's going to kill him? Cut 37. Here's his wife. Oh, yeah. No. How can you be able to change when we have had the same two families in the White House the last 30 years? It's not her. It's not her. Pause. Pause. Pause.
Great question. The question was, they got an email that they wanted to read there and get a response. They said, this chick writes in, she says, listen, I'm 37 years old. I've never, I haven't been alive where there hasn't been a Bush or a Clinton in the White House. So how can you sit here and say that you're the person for change when it's just more of this, it's another Clinton? Yeah, get her. That's all it's been is Bush and Clinton. So how are you the model for change? Unpause. As I have often said, I regret deeply that there is a Bush in the White House at this time. And, you know, it did take a Clinton to clean after the first Bush, and I think it might take another one to clean up after the second Bush. Yeah, but you don't like Hillary, Sean, I thought. I thought you were in a big Hillary. Yeah, I don't like it. But she's right when she says that it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush. Clean up after she voted for the war? Dude, I'm not supporting her. What do you mean? What is she cleaning up? Her own mistakes? Her own mistakes? Her mistake was to get into Iraq? She voted for it. Why did she vote for it? Why did she vote for it? Because they cherry-picked information and they lied to them and the American public. It's true. There was a new report that just came out. You can't make an informed decision on lies. Right? Saddam Hussein himself said, yeah, I had them.
Saddam Hussein himself. Okay, but that doesn't change the fact that they consistently and systematically lied in order to engage us in Iraq. It doesn't change that. Oh, well, then I'll say this. You win that argument, but the truth is we went in there for the reason that we went in there. It's right. He did have them. Now, we said, I'll tell you what. He got rid of them. Yeah, he got rid of them. He didn't have them. He did get rid of them. By the time we went in there. The initial reason why we went in there was because they supposedly were supporting and funding Al-Qaeda. And that was not true. To this day, it's not true. Hey, listen. We're so sorry. especially during that time, anybody that's going to have weapons of mass destruction, so long. See you later. There would have been no reason to even go into Iraq if Clinton would have taken care of it in the first place. Let's go after Saudi Arabia. Let's go after any number of nations in the Middle East. As soon as we have credible evidence, like we did then, that Saudi Arabia has weapons of mass destruction, then obviously we have them. Bottom line is, Bill Clinton's an idiot. Oh. Oh!
Sean, I'm sorry. He didn't mean it. He's just trying to upset you. He doesn't really mean it, Sean. Well, you know, it was such a terrible time in American history. The economy was in the dumpster. Everybody was prosperous. Yeah, it was really old. That sucked. Wait a minute. America was prosperous during the Clinton era. That's what we're saying. Thank goodness for a mostly Republican House that pushed all that stuff through. Oh, yeah. They pushed it all through. Even though Clinton devised the whole thing. No, he didn't. They wrote it. They wrote that stuff. Please. Sean doesn't know anything. Sean is the smartest person on the show. Why is Sean the smartest person on the show? Mike reads more about this stuff than anybody. I'd say Sean and I read the same stuff, but we know... Mike's smarter. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. He does. But I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. He's the smartest. He's all popped up on meds. He doesn't know nothing. He's a jackass. He's on a bunch of antibiotics. You can't trust that guy. Look at his salt and pepper face. Can you believe that guy? Yeah, you heard me. You heard me, spicy. Spicy? What is that? He had a little bit more pepper than salt. I think he just spit out whatever he was drinking. Here's a clip.
That was a good debate, guys. We're very educated. Here's a clip that I think... Sean knows what he's saying. No, he doesn't. No, no, no. Let me tell you. This is what I'm going to say. He knows he's wrong. He knows that it was a Republican-run House and Senate that wrote those bills. He tried to say no to them. Oh, my God. Because Clinton's an idiot. It was Clinton's idea to balance the budget, bro. He's too busy screwing around with cigars and whatnot. Hey! We know what's up. Now, this is a clip that has to do with this exact topic that I think will clear all of it up. Oh, good. What is it? Finally. Cut 19. This is gross. I'm addicted to ketchup. I will drink ketchup. Drink it? What? Yeah. I love ketchup. It's Miley Cyrus. I think that clears everything up that we were trying to figure out there. Clinton's an idiot. And point proven. Yeah, you win.
Thank you. You guys make my morning so much better, I swear to God. This is The Mikey Show. I appreciate that, dude. That's very nice of you to say. Rock 105.3. Nervous about tomorrow? I heard it was Ashley microwaving dinner. Dumb. So, but the thing that... Ash, can you hear me? Flooded the Bellagio. Oh, no! I'm sorry. Sorry. Please don't hurt us. Don't do it. Come on. I'm just kidding.
So I guess the contractor that was doing the welding up on the roof didn't obtain a hot works permit. Yeah, I've got one. To do welding on a roof. He didn't even know what that is. I know what a hot works is. Yeah, I do. I used to play with those little hot works cars when I was a kid. He's in some serious trouble. He is in bad trouble. Hey, Ash, you like Grey's Anatomy? Duh. Dr. Alex Karev. Do you know who that is? Dr. Alex Karev? out of the UCLA Medical Center psych ward the day before Brittany checked in. Really? Yeah. Yeah, actor Justin Chambers. That's, you know, his real name. He's not Dr. Alex. Dr. Justin Chambers. Well, he's not a doctor. Eddie's a doctor. I'm not a doctor either, so I can relate to that. He's a doctor and a researcher. What is his character like, Ash? Dr. Alex Kreb, right? Yeah. Yeah, he's kind of like the bad boy messed up in the head, dark inside, emotionally dead, but really hot player, doctor that sleeps around with all the nurses and stuff. In real life, he has five kids and he's married. Yeah, that's true. He does have five kids. Sweet. They drove him nuts. I guess so. He checked himself in for exhaustion and a sleeping disorder, which I guess was kind of getting out of his control, so he was some professional help with that.
Eddie, you watched The Bachelor the last season, right? Yes. You know this chick, Deanna? Yeah. Yes. She's going to be the new bachelorette. What? Really? Yeah. They're going to do The Bachelorette. Wow. They haven't done that in years. I wanted it to be me. They picked her over Jenny? That's stupid. What do you guys think of Deanna? I think she's a little nuts in the head, but this was the girl. Remember when we were playing back the clips of the finale? That one that freaked out and was crying and was like, tell me why. And she was not over it yet. That's that girl. A little emotionally unstable. That's probably why they picked her. DNA's too cool. Well, if that sounds good to you, they're looking for dudes who want to be on the show. So go to the Bachelor website. There you go, Seth. I'm all over it. Perfect for you. There you go, dude. Mira Servino wanted to be on Dancing with the Stars, but her management company said, no, that's for losers that don't have careers anymore. Well. Yeah, she said she really wanted to do it and was upset when her management said, no, we don't think it's going to be a good idea. You don't suck bad enough. Yeah. I disagree. What has she been in? I don't know. Yeah, I don't think she's been in anything lately. And the people that go on that show,
They get careers. Like, Marie Osmond's getting a talk show now. Yeah, it's true. All kinds of big stuff. Let's see. Star Jones is out at Court TV. Already? Yep, it's over. How long was she there? Gosh, I don't know. Was it even a year? Yeah, something like that. Is it because she's a deaver? Well, they're saying that it was a mutual decision. That, you know, she wasn't bringing the ratings. It was in the view, too. That was pretty mutual. She wasn't really happy with, you know, the way the show was. So it was mutual, Mike. People that work at Cedars-Sinai Hospital say Christina Aguilera. Christina Aguilera. Was a bit of a deaver. Really? And the B word. What a surprise. When she had her baby there. But that Nicole Richie was real nice. Sweet. Yeah, they said Nicole Richie was a lot of fun. She was upbeat, was cracking jokes. She got flowers and balloons for all the other mothers who were giving her that same day and little gift certificates. I don't have an eating disorder.
They just said she, you know, I mean, it sounds like to me Christina was just being like a normal woman giving birth. She was a bit moody. Didn't she have to deliver in full makeup? Yes, she was uncomfortable. She didn't want anyone around. That don't sound normal, this guy. Delivering in full makeup. Well, no, not the delivering in full makeup, but as far as not wanting strangers up in your business when you're pushing out a baby, that doesn't sound too unreasonable. Strangers or doctors and nurses. Well, they're strangers. Okay, well, that's for doing their job. Wait a minute. So you're saying that... I'm trying to breathe here. Wait a minute. So what you're saying is that normal women resent doctors and nurses seeing their vagina. And they get really mad and moody about it, is what you're saying. Well, I'm saying... Get out of here! I'm thinking a woman who's giving birth... Stop looking at it! A woman who's giving birth can be moody. Take a picture. Yeah. Why don't you get somebody in here to draw a picture of it? What? Ever. Let's see. Oh, James Lofton. He got fired from us, right? The Chargers. He's about to get hired as the Oakland Raiders wide receiver coach. And here's the crazy part about this. Lane Kiffin had zero input. Are you kidding me? Yeah. I think they want him gone, right? They do. They want him out. Al Davis is trying to push him out. Al, why'd you hire him then? You weirdo. He's bad, Mike. Because...
He feels that Lane was disloyal because Lane apparently was interested in a couple of openings like the Michigan job and the Arkansas job. And so because he was disloyal, now he wants him out. But he's not going to fire him. He wants Lane to resign and give up $4 million. He doesn't want to have to pay the contract. This is going to be over real quick. I bet it isn't, Coach. What do you think of that? I don't know. I don't think it will be. So weird. NFL is unlikely to reinstate Pac-Man Jones anytime soon. Nah. If you were expecting him to come back in 08, I don't know. NFL right now is like, eh. He's too busy at the strip club. Seriously. It's not that busy, man. It's not that busy. Morgan Ensberg, he's a Yankee now. Rob, whatever. He's here. He's in the house tonight. There he is right there. Bogus bomb threat called into the Kaiser, the one on Zion, yesterday. They had to clear out the emergency room. Oh, that sucks. Yeah. Imagine being sick. I know. Sick to the point where you have to go to the emergency room and then some crazy dude walks in with a suitcase claiming it's a bomb. Is that what happened? Yeah. Oh, my God.
Yeah, so he claimed he had an explosive device in his briefcase, and then the police were called in. They evacuated. That was about 1.30 yesterday. But it sounds like the police got it taken care of really quick. By getting there, they say within 15 minutes of the cops getting there, they had the guy, they arrested the guy, and then brought in the bomb squad or whatever to check out the briefcase, and they said police had the scene cleared by 2 o'clock. I wonder what he faces. Like, I wonder how bad the penalty is. I bet it's pretty bad. Hillary's in town today. What is she doing? She's talking, Mike. She's having a little town hall meeting today. Where does she want to tell people stuff? She's going to be at San Diego State University. Screaming at the top of her lungs. This is very personal. It's going to be at Cox Arena starting about 1.30. It's open to the public, but there's a lot of rules about what you can and cannot bring in there. It's not easy. It's not easy. Where is Bill Clinton going to be pulling the strings from? I guess the rafters. The rafters? That's what we're all agreeing on. It's so funny. We all agree on that. It's so funny to make fun of the Democratic candidates. Hillary and Bill.
And then talk about the Republican ones. Like, oh, they're so great. Oh, gosh. Wonder what that's about. You don't even support the Democratic candidates. I don't 100% support all of them. Same as Mike with his candidates. But he's not mocking them and making fun of them. Oh, I don't like Romney. You've heard me go off on Romney. We've made fun of him several times. I don't like that Romney guy. But you make fun of all of our candidates. Because they're idiots. Well, they're not. We haven't made fun of Barack Obama. Yes, you have. You call him a terrorist. You make fun of his name. You call him a terrorist. He's not? Wait a minute. I'm just realizing right now. I thought that... Equal time. This guy can't win arguments. You can't win anything. You want Sean to say something? Sean, talk about it. I like the way that Barack talks. I noticed that last night. He's a smooth brother. Yeah, he is. He is very smooth. He is a very smooth brother. Wait, that doesn't sound very... Who went to Harvard, by the way. He did go to Harvard. Do we have any clips of Barack Obama? Yeah, we do. Cut 54. Senator Clinton, I think, fairly, has claimed that she's got experience on day one. That's true. And part of the argument that I'm making in this campaign is that it is important to be right on day one. And the judgment that I've presented on this issue and some other issues...
is relevant to how we're going to make decisions in the future. There's a very particular inflection that he uses when speaking publicly. It's like a deep, brain gumbel. It is. And the more people that hear him become hypnotized by his Urkel-ish stature. I'll tell you what, man. We were watching the first five minutes of that debate last night, and me and my wife both said, That dude, you have to admit, he is, and personally, I think this is what it's all about with him. He's really charismatic. That guy can make you, I mean, his whole thing is we believe or whatever. And he gets you to because he sure does put across that charm and the personality. And Hillary didn't have any of that. I saw her in high definition last night. Oh, yeah. That wasn't nice. You too? Yeah, that wasn't a good time. Bright lights.
And high definition. She needs a nap. I'm telling you, dude. I mean, she's got some, there's some lines. I can't believe you said that. No. No. No, don't do it. Sky, let's move on to something different. Why is he being such a jerk? What, call you out for your hypocrisy? No, shut your dirty mouth. It is dirty. This is a real weird story. Check this out. So yesterday, there's this dude. He's going south on the 15. And he is at the 9th Street exit, Escondido. He kills a guy. And the way that this happens is he falls asleep at the wheel. His car rolls off an embankment and happens to fall on a tree randomly. that a homeless guy was sleeping underneath. Oh, man. How bizarre is that? It's like a cartoon. It reminded, like when I heard it, I was like, that's like a movie. Yeah. Like the movie would be about that guy's life and how events just came together in certain... Like Stranger Than Fiction. Yeah. And The Watch. Like Crash. Dude, seriously. It's like Crash. Stranger Than Fiction.
Okay. I've never seen that one, but... Now you're missing out, dude. Is that Nicolas Cage? No. Oh, Michael Ferrell. Stranger than fiction. Oh, Lou Ferrell. Lou Ferrell. I love him. Lou Ferrell. Lou Ferrell. He's deaf, right? He played the hook. He was a hook. He would get mad. Hey, guy, are you all right? Yeah, I'm saying. Remember Lou Ferrell? He played the hook. He played the hook and he would get mad and he would go, Mrs. McGee, you won't like me when I'm happy. Pick a bod grain. That's right. What else? Eddie, have you seen No Country for Old Men yet? Yeah, Eddie. Let it go, Mike. I beg you to go tonight. No, I'm not going tonight. If I go, it will be tomorrow as a matinee. All right, let's go. I'm not saying we're going together. Let's go to see it together. You've seen it already. Hold hands. Oh, hey. Pack a lunch and take a backpack. What are you saying? Let's not do that. P1, Jared is calling in. Jared, are you there? Yes. Go ahead, Jared. Hey, Mikey. Hey. I've been trying to get a hold of you for a couple months now. Uh-oh. I need a thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was sometime during Christmas. You did your testimonial in Iraq not too long ago. I saw some stuff, and I was real bitter about it. Myself, hating life. I started going to church more, started reading the Bible more often. That's awesome, dude. Yeah, I'm more passionate.
about wife and it's helped me and my wife so much, dude. That's awesome. You have no idea how much. Bro, that is very, very cool, man. I'm really, I'm glad to hear that, man. I really, I'm very glad to hear that. As far as Sky, ham is good. Ham is good, Sky. All right. Ham be with you, sir. You know. And also with ham. And also with ham. Ham be with you. We already know what's going on with that. Ashley. Yes. It's cool. My old lady, she sweats a lot too, so. She does sweat. Yeah, nothing wrong with it, man. This old lady does. All right, brother. Hey, I appreciate the call, Jared. All right, take it easy, man. Which leads us to our next point. Wow. Oh. Segway. Well, we pretty much exhausted every single thing we had on our list today. We went through everything. I did talk about how Zeth got pulled over again, right? Yeah. Discuss that. Next time we're on, we're going to talk about how Ashley likes Forever Fondue. It's supposed to be a pretty good place. I like it as well. I do too, because it sounds like you've got variety. It's really fun. You get a whole bunch of stuff to stick into cheese, right? A plethora. You have a cheese course. Yes. And then you have your normal fondue course, which is normally beef broth. Or chicken. Really? Last night. Really? Mm-hmm.
Beef broth? I don't understand. They put the beef broth in a pot in a little heater in front of you, and you put meat or vegetables or whatever you want, and you cook it in there. Gnocchi. I had some spinach gnocchi that I was cooking up last night. I really want to try that place. It's good. Been there many times. And then dessert, they melt chocolate. Go just for the dessert. Or dark chocolate or white chocolate. You pick. What do you put in there? Is that broccoli? Marshmallows, cheesecake, pound cake, pineapples, strawberries, Rice Krispie cheese. It's a dip into the chocolate. Melted right there. That sounds good. That does sound like Skye's kind of deal. She likes the stuff dipped in the chocolate. The ladies love it. So I am not addicted to chocolate, but at one time in my life, I was addicted to alcohol. And I do this thing on Fridays. This guy was just talking about it. It's called Give My Testimony. I tell you how I came to change my life. Because if I hadn't done this, if I hadn't gone through this process, then I wouldn't have a radio show today. There's no doubt in my mind that today I'd either be in prison or I'd be dead. And he really gave me a break. Because I should have been in prison. So he really gave me a break. I should have gone to jail for getting behind the wheel of the card.
after I'd been drinking at times, and he made sure that I didn't. And I would hope and like to think that maybe there are other people who maybe could be spared from the same thing. There are people that are listening right now, and you're going through the same kind of thing where you have something going on in your life where you just broke up with somebody, you have lost someone. I recently met somebody who lost a son. I have a 16-month-old, and I'm telling you that I can't even imagine it. And I know that there are people that are listening right now that have just lost someone, a grandparent or a mother or a father or a brother or a sister or a mom or a dad or somebody that is addicted to something and they just can't stop and maybe nobody knows about it. No one even knows that you're doing it or maybe they do, but they're afraid to say, you know, they don't really want to talk to you about it because it's uncomfortable. And right now, as you're hearing me say that, you're thinking in your head,
Yeah, that's me. Or you may be new to San Diego and you just don't know anyone. You're very, very lonely. Or for any of those other reasons that I mentioned before, you find yourself in a very, very lonely place where you feel like you're alone, don't have anybody. But the main reason that I give my testimony on Friday is to talk about the one thing that can help you get through it, and it's hope. Because a lot of times you don't have any left and you go, Well, there's no point. You're thinking about taking your own life because you don't think that there's anything to live for. You don't think that you have any hope for anything. And you look into your future and you go, I don't have a job and I can't pay the bills as it is. Because I'm a screw-up, I lost my kid. Or something like that. If that sounds like you, I want to let you know that I've been in your shoes where I felt like I was completely alone and lonely
and that nobody understood where I was coming from. And I was completely addicted to alcohol, and I couldn't stop drinking it. No matter how much I wanted to, I couldn't stop. And then I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life, and I can tell you right now, very proudly, that he is a friend of mine, and that I love him very, very, very, very, very much. I love him very dearly. He saved my life. I have faith in him that when he suffered, The way that he suffered. And when he had to die the way that he died. That he did it for me. Which I can't even tell you how I'm not worth it. I'm not worthy of that. And so when I asked him into my life that night. I was changed. I got changed that night. Every day since then. It's been different. And a lot of people have said. You know Mikey. That whole religion thing.
Isn't that kind of a crutch? Absolutely. It absolutely is. When I have a broken leg, he is there to support me. And when I don't have a broken leg and times are good, he's like a flashlight in the middle of darkness. So he's with me all the time. Thank goodness I have a crutch. Thank goodness. Thank God I have a crutch. So we play this song about hope. It's by a band called Third Day. who will be in San Diego February 20th playing at House of Blues. And they'll be in the studio with us performing this song acoustically. Very, very cool. They're the nicest guys in the world. I can't even tell you how sweet and nice these guys are. Really listen to the words of this song. Really listen to the lyrics of this song. Missy's coming up next. You guys have a great weekend. Be really, really safe, will you, on Sunday. Be really safe.
And we'll see you back here on Monday. The Mikey Show is out late.
