What did you think when you saw Larry Fitzgerald take you to the house? There's a chance there at the end, and you're leading the game, and we got the fortunes to turn in our direction. I can't do anything but give credit to the Steelers for their tremendous drive there at the end. I mean, that's what championship teams are all about. You know, you can always look what it should have, could have. You know, the ball wasn't thrown to me for some reason. You know, I'm not pointing fingers. You know, we just didn't get it done. You know, simple as that. I mean, I can't really, you know, even elaborate on it. A loss is a loss. No matter how close it is, it still hurts. But he says, you know, I'm not pointing fingers here.
but we see your hand up with your finger pointing out, Larry. But, hey, listen, there it is. It's a Mikey show. Welcome to the program. Some clips of the Super Bowl from yesterday. It's 6.05, and we're a man down, or a lady down. Sky is, she had to go to urgent care because she had these ginormous, I guess, spider bites. We don't know. Dude. You know, Sky, with her sunburn and all that stuff that would give her a hard time for being dramatic. When she told me that she had these bites, I kind of laughed and I was like, really? And then she showed them to me. Oh, dude. They're the size of my fist. No way. Now, let me tell you. They're huge. I haven't seen them, but same as Eddie. When she told me, I was like, you know, how do you feel? I'm fine. Okay. Well, then what's going on? I'm thinking the same thing, Eddie. She's being dramatic. But then Eddie says that they're ginormous. I saw them. I'm like, how did you not go to the ER? Yeah. Like, you know, let alone urgent care. I would have been like, dude, these are crazy. And she's like, you know, she's getting like stomach cramps and stuff like that. I'm like, dude, you need to go to the doctor. When did she get bit? I don't know. She didn't say that. Did she say like she definitely like saw the spider? No, she's not sure what it is, if it was a spider or what. She's not sure what it is. It could just be a bug.
A bug. So anyway, so she's there and she says she feels good. And so when she's done there, she's going to come in and maybe she'll let us post the pictures of these fights. YouTube it. You can YouTube it. We've got to get YouTube down here to film that. So right now, the Mikey show is me, Eddie, Ashley, and Rob. What? How do you like that? Seven to four. Makes sense, right? Yeah. Totally makes sense. That's great. Yeah. Went from seven people to four people. All right. Well, road trip. So anyway, there it is. Did you guys enjoy the Super Bowl? No. Yes. I loved it. I thought it was great. It was awesome. I thought it was great. One of the best Super Bowls I've ever seen. Me too. No question about it. That's how I felt. I mean, that last, I saw Rob in the hallway, and I go, hey, dude, I fell asleep with three minutes left, so Cardinals won, right? Yeah. As soon as Fitzgerald scored, you went to bed. Yeah, I was like, okay, cool. We got this one wrapped up, right? This is great. I mean, what a game. I mean, you know, I'm so happy that the Steelers won, but I'm so sad that the Cardinals lost. Yeah. Because I really had.
this feeling of like, oh, man, you know, even when Fitzgerald scored, I was like, this is crazy. I kind of want them to win, even though I'm a Steelers fan at heart. But, you know, when the Steelers won, it still was great. But, I mean, the fact that the Cardinals made it exciting and Fitzgerald, I mean, give me a break. It was awesome. And, hey, six championships. That's gross. It's crazy. You know, you got to look at. How many teams have none? Yeah. And you go, the Steelers have six. Yeah. I mean, they're the Yankees of football. Well, you know, if it were to. That don't hurt me. I like that. If they were to say, you know, there's no more NFL after last night, the Steelers would go down as the greatest football team of all time. Yeah. I think it was El Michaels or Bob Costas at the end of the thing, you know, we're saying, you know, they're the model franchise of sports right now. With them and the Patriots. That's what. Like, you didn't really hear too many people? But he didn't say that. Yeah, nobody really said that. You had to read between the lines. They've only won three. They lost last year. But you know what? Like, what they were hinting at. Remember when they lost last year? Hey, do you remember what they were hinting at? They didn't hint at that. They didn't even think it. Strongly advised it. Ben Roethlisberger. I had a lot of fun. Really proud of this group of guys. Pittsburgh. Our fans. We love you all over the world. And you know what?
Offensive line. Who's laughing now, O-line? You have a terrible goatee, and your head is big. It is. He's got a giant head. Real-life bobblehead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Giant. I heard he toppled over. But I like it. He did. How about that Santonio Holmes? He's a pretty good player. That's unbelievable. That touchdown, dude. It was great. I mean, you know, I really think that that was the greatest touchdown catch. in Super Bowl history. Really? Yeah. I mean, it was amazing, not only because of the timing of it, but, I mean, that was an incredible catch. It's too bad the name The Catch is gone. Yeah. Did you see any of the pregame show when they called David Tyree The Catch? I got mad. I started yelling, and Debra, my wife, had no idea what I was yelling about. Right. But I'm like, that's not the... The catch? The catch is Dwight Clark. What are you talking about? That's not the catch. Dwight Clark already has the name, the catch. And they're like, oh, David Tyree last year made what's now being called the catch. No, it isn't. No, it isn't. It's not. No. Don't. Don't call it that. Call it like the lucky catch. Thank you. Thank you. Hey, Rob. Yeah, whatever. Hey, don't you agree a little bit with this number 11's comments? I mean.
Throw him the football a little bit more. You know, every time that ball was thrown at him, not only did he catch it, he did something crazy with it. You've got to give the Steelers credit. I mean, they had him... They had him blanketed the first half. So, I mean, it wasn't like they didn't want to throw the ball to Larry Fitzgerald. I mean, he was covered. So, you know, they figured out how to get him. You know, they moved him around a little bit in the second half and got him open. And once they did, I mean, geez, you saw what happened. He's a spectacular player. It's got to be crazy for a quarterback because I was listening. I forget who was saying it, but they were working with, you know, Kurt Warner just saying, just even if he's covered, throw the ball up there and let him get it. For a quarterback, that's got to be kind of crazy. The first touchdown catch he had, he was double covered. He just jumped up and got it. That's how he rolls, yo. See, that's what I'm saying. Just try to put it over there somewhere. He reminds me a lot of me. He does not. I don't think he reminds you of you. I really don't. I don't think he reminds you of you at all. He does. I think you're making it up. I say, when I saw him catch that, when I saw him catch the one that he took to the house, he looks like,
it's not fair for him to be playing with other players. Yeah, he is definitely a step ahead of everybody else. You know what I mean? Yeah, I do. He's good. Oh, boy! P1 Tim, you there? Yeah, I'm here. Hey, Tim, what's a P1, bro? That's right. That's it, dude. You're good. I'm going to give you something. We got some kind of prize. I'm going to give you something. Real good. Because, yeah, dude, that's what P1s are all about. P1s are Mikey Show listeners, and it's an army of people that are into it. So, hey, what did you want to say about the Super Bowl? Oh, I just got a question. The last play of the game, it was a fumble. When Kurt Warner dropped back to pass, it sure as heck looked to me like it should have been at least reviewed. His arm did get hit, but he at least threw the ball, so I think it should have been at least an incomplete pass. What do you think, Eddie? I don't know. It's only the Super Bowl. You don't spend a couple of minutes looking at that play? I thought that was really weird and questionable. Nobody said anything about it. Yeah, because not only was it a questionable play of whether or not his arm was going forward, but let's not forget that the Steelers were flagged.
for unsportsmanlike conduct because the guy took his helmet off. So that would have given, if they would have ruled it for the Cardinals, 15 extra yards. So they would have put him on the 35, which would have made a much easier Hail Mary pass. And we know what Larry Fitzgerald can do. He's pretty good. He's real good. Number 11. He can jump up and get it. So I was really scratching my head of going, why isn't this being reviewed? Dude, I thought that there was a lot of... favorable Steeler calls and a lot of, where's the flag for the Cardinals yesterday? I was going, where's the flag? Where's the flag for this? Where's the flag for that? I think Harrison's going to be thrown out of the game after he punched the guy in. You know, that was a weird play for me. You know, I looked at that and I'm like... Which play is this? The one when James Harrison got flagged for Unsportsmanlike Conduct when he was, you know, pushing the guy down. And I looked at that and I'm like, I don't really get it. You know, I mean... He didn't, I don't think he threw a punch. He was blocking the guy. And, you know, Madden was really upset about it. And I'm like, man, maybe I've seen something wrong. Are you talking about the one? When it was on the, I think it was a punt. And Harrison was blocking the guy. And the guy was down and kind of pushed him. You know, when the guy was like on his knees. I'll say this before I say it. I'm a Cardinal fan. But I thought that the flag should have been thrown way before that. I thought it was like one.
Two, three, four. Finally, the guy's like, okay, I'm going to throw the flag on this. I thought he was unsportsmanlike. Unsportsmanlike conduct is being a D. And I thought this guy was being a jerk. Four plays. He pushed him. Nothing. He pushes him again. Nothing. He slaps him in the face. Finally, a flag comes out. I was like, hey, thanks. Personally, I'm like, what is going on? I felt like Pittsburgh was getting a lot of calls going their way yesterday and that we weren't getting a lot of calls. Thank you, Mike. The Cardinals weren't getting a lot of things thrown. I don't know. But listen, they earned it. They're the best team in football. The Steelers are the best team in football. They're hard to beat, man. I'm still so proud of the Cardinals. I think they freaking gave him a run for his money. Freaking Fitzgerald caught two touchdowns. He freaking did the best he could with what they gave him. He's a freak. And I thought it freaking went really well. Wow, okay, we got you. Overall. You're out of control. What? P1 Good News is online. Hey, Mikey. What up, dude? Dude, what was up with that halftime show? I loved it. I loved it. What's up with that, Bruce? Put your pizza down and turn your TV up because we're going to rock this house. Let's go. Oh, I was in. You liked it? Oh, dude, I'm not kidding you. You love Springsteen? Oh, please. Oh, dude. Can we get someone more relevant? Let's take a look. Okay. Put your dancing shoes on.
How dare you. Let's do this. How dare your face. Yeah. That's how my mom felt. Dude. My 70-year-old mom goes, I think this is the best halftime show ever. I loved it. Yeah, my mom must have been in heaven. Like, Bruce Springsteen is her favorite. He sounded great. Can we just point out Eddie's jaws dropped open? I know, Eddie, right? You can't believe that they didn't like it. Can I just say the obvious thing that I was thinking? Yes. He looked good. Can you turn her mic off? I'm like, you're telling me that, first of all, Janet Jackson pulls her boob out. And so because she pulls her boob out, it means that all halftime shows for the end of time must be very conservative. No more fun. Look at what we've got. Paul McCartney. Yes. Prince. Yes. Tom Petty. Tom Petty. And now Bruce Springsteen. Bruce Springsteen. So first of all, it's Bruce Springsteen comes out, okay? All right. Fine. Okay, so I guess it's going to be Bruce Springsteen. He comes out there, and this guy has the rocks to not play Born in the USA in a time where we're all wanting it. We need it the most. Are you kidding me with you? I couldn't believe that. He had a different playlist. And by the way, what was that first song? I don't even know what that was. What was it? I don't know what it was. Me and Debra said the same thing. We're like...
We're supposed to be singing along with this. He's putting the microphone to the crowd, so it's clear that we're supposed to know what song. I've never heard this song in my life. The only reason I know it's in front of me is the only reason I know. You guys weren't really jazzed for 10th Avenue Freeze Out. No, wait. That is one of his. That is one of his. Least known songs in the history of mankind. That's not true. Take a little deeper. 10th Avenue. 10th Avenue freeze out? Oh, yeah. What? I grew up with my mom's angle. Did you really for real? Oh, yeah, dude. The boss? Come on. Oh, my. It was Aussie Dennis Rodman on saxophone. Somebody said that at our house. Oh, my. How many guitar players do they need? Thank you. As many as it takes to get that party started. Why doesn't Pauly Walnuts get up there, too? Because if the cast of The Sopranos is going to be playing in the E Street Band, then Pauly Walnuts might as well have a saxophone, too. Come on. Dude, that was garbage. Garbage. Absolute garbage. You guys don't get it. I hated every second of it. Thank you, Eddie. Every second of it. Whatever, man. I hated his, like, rolling around and, like...
I mean, you're old. Bruce, like, stop doing that. What is this? Like, the songs, I didn't even know what they were. You didn't like the working on a dream part? When they kind of slowed it down? Oh, dude. In the late end. Oh, dude. I put my cell phone up and I was inside. How dare you? I did it. I did it. I think you're full. That's right. Your cell phone lighter. It took him to get to that delusion. Yeah. Dude, when he slided crotch first into the camera. So hot. That was so hot. That didn't turn you on. I thought he was going to die. Why are you doing this? She was into it, man. Why is she doing this? Apparently she loved it. It was so bad. Where's my born in the USA, dude? I'm shocked. In fact, I even thought to myself, you know what? I wouldn't be surprised if Barack walked out. Yes. Now that's a halftime show. That's a halftime show. Do that. No, no born in the USA. Great. Thanks, Bruce.
Country needs it, Bruce. Yeah. Where are you at? Times are changing, bro. I don't want no 10th Avenue freeze out. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Can't sing along to a song you've never heard. Jerk. It's not the worst. Nobody at my house knew what it was. I had never heard it. Rob knows his mom played it. That's why he knows. I didn't need to know. You just knew you were getting some 10th Avenue, Bruce. I just knew it was on. It was terrible. It was on. All you know is you saw a dude up there rocking. His guts out, right? Inspiring me, Mike. In a pair of black jeans. Getting me pumped up. That's what I'm saying. Why are you doing this? Why am I doing what? It's the worst. I hate that you're doing this. It's the worst. You hate that I'm... You can't... Mike. Harold. Good morning. What's up? Two things I thought were pretty funny. Bruce Springsteen. Hysterical. Put your pizza down, turn your TV up. Yeah, dude, right? Turns around, goes to run up, barely gets up the stairs. He tries to climb on top of the piano. I thought somebody was going to have to give him a boost. Dude, hey, how about his throwing the guitar and his guitar tech like almost dropping the guitar? I wanted him to drop it so bad. Come on. Oh, that was hilarious. The other thing I thought was pretty funny was at the end of the game when Santonio Holmes is up there and they're talking to him, he's trying to tell everybody how good he is and all this stuff. He says, I just want to thank our defense at the end for getting us the ball back. Yeah.
They didn't. They didn't. They didn't. It was Fitzgerald scored a frigging touchdown. I thought that was pretty funny, too. Yeah. I love you. It's the truth. Thank you, Harold. Thank you. Thanks, Harold. How exciting. I don't know. Well, I mean, it just depends on if you were cheering for the Cardinals yesterday or if you were cheering for the Steelers. But let me tell you, there wasn't a Steeler fan at my place. We had a little Super Bowl get-together. There wasn't a Steeler fan there. So it was all Cardinals. Nice. The safety happened before they announced the penalty. You know, everybody's like. Right. And then they announced that there was a penalty safety. I thought that was so exciting. I was so excited when that was a safety and the Cardinals were getting the ball back. I actually thought that Ben should have taken a safety. Yeah. Because that would have been the smart move instead of trying to kick out of the end zone. Because you're still up by four points. Yeah, yeah. And you get to, you know, you're not risking any kind of turnover or anything like that. Yeah. I would have run out of the back of the end zone, taken the safety, and then kicked it, you know, like they ended up having to do anyway. Yeah. So that was, you know, that wasn't to me that big of a deal. But, you know, when they got the ball and, I mean, Fitzgerald scored like as quick as he did, I thought to myself, I'm like, that's awesome. But, man, they got a lot of time on that clock because, I mean, there was over two minutes left. Yeah.
So it was almost like you wanted them to run the ball out a little bit. It felt like, you know, Charger fans are used to that feeling of, just hold them. You know? Used to that feeling. Just hold them. And that's what everybody was saying yesterday. All I wanted them to do. Just hold them, you know? All I wanted them to do. Just hold them. Just hold them. Couldn't. And then you'd see these times where Ben Roethlisberger seemed to have 50,000. red jerseys around. And you're like, get him! Somebody! Somebody get him! I kept saying, like, I can't get over...
how long that guy holds on to the ball. Thank you. It's crazy how long you hold on to that ball. Yeah. I mean, he makes plays, though. He ate a sandwich at one point. He was having a sandwich. He's brewing his own coffee. He brewed some coffee. Anybody want some? Yeah, and nobody did want any coffee, so he's like, okay, fine, I'll have it myself. I'm going to drink this and then throw it. Yeah. So he had a full carafe of coffee, and then he put it down, offered anybody some crumpets. Does anybody want any crumpets? Okay. I'm good. Fine. Fine. I'll have this whole box of crumpets myself. All right. Everyone's satiated. Real good. And since nobody's going to tackle me, first down. Let me toss it. He's outrageous. Dude. Dude. P1 Hockey Town is on the line. What's up, Hockey Town? Yeah, I was actually wondering if anyone saw the pregame interview with Springsteen they did before the game. I just saw like a second. This is why I'm so out on this guy. Talk to me. So, you know, Costas is interviewing him. and he says, you know, well, who do you like in the game? And he's like, ah, well, you know, I don't follow football, so I don't really know. And then Costas is like, well, why are you playing the halftime show then? He's like, ah, well, I got an album to promote. Oh, wow. That's the worst. Really? So you don't follow football? The only reason why you're doing it is because you have an album to promote? That's the worst. Get out of here, Bruce. Get out of here. I hate you. I don't want to hear it. Oh, so bad. That's why he didn't play Born in the USA. Why? Oh, because he wanted to play?
Well, did he play any new stuff? I think there was one. He played 10th Avenue Freeze Out, Born to Run, Glory Days, and then Working on a Dream. So is any, are all those old? Is Working on a Dream an old song? No, that's his song. Working on a Dream is his new one. Okay, that's what I thought. That's his new single. So, Rob, he lost you when he played the new one. Yeah, I don't really care for that. Yeah, it was ridiculous. All right, hey, thanks for the call, Hockey Town. Thanks, have a good one. Oh, man. Got an album to promote. Come on. You jerk. I don't want to hear that. I want to hear that you're happy to be proud. Dude, it's the biggest football game ever. I'm a huge football fan. This is a great honor. I'm just proud to be out there. No, I got an album to promote. Oh, all right. Come on. Let's see. P1 Scoob. Hey, what's going on? A couple things, guys. When Fitzgerald came off the field after his second touchdown, And the offensive coordinator, he was like, your mom would be proud right now. Yeah, my wife read his lips and said that. Is that what he was saying? I guess so, yeah. He said something like, this is for your mom or something like that. I saw the word mom, and he kind of pointed it up into the air. And I was like, oh, that's cool. That is cool. Fitzgerald's face when Pittsburgh scored the touchdown, he was like. Dude, slow motion. Oh, no. Oh, no. Did you see the pregame story on Fitzgerald? Uh-uh. Had no idea about this. What?
Apparently, before his mom died, he had a falling out with her and they weren't talking at the time of her death. Oh, how did she die? She died. She had breast cancer and and ended up getting something that made her pass away. And, you know, they were talking to his dad and Larry. And, you know, apparently, you know, they had just this weird fight and falling out and they stopped talking for like eight months and she died. And, like, his dad had called him and said, like, dude, you need to get to the hospital and see your mom. And he didn't go. And she died. And now he's, like, devastated by it and regrets it. Oh, that's too bad, man. I had no idea about that. It was a really sad story. That's too bad. On a lighter note, I was watching the commercials. The funniest commercial I saw. Don't do it yet. Save it. Man, Scoob. Save it. Man, Scoob. We're going to get to it, man. We're going to go over the commercials because I want to. We'll go into it. There were some good ones. We'll go into it. Eddie, she's going to do this all morning long. Who did what? I'm telling you. I can't do this. She's going to pick the commercials that will drive you notes. Then she'll say that's the funniest thing she's ever seen. But I don't want her to do that, Mike. I don't either, but I also am kind of like, man, I want her to make me mad. You don't want that. You don't want that. I don't know what I want.
Like, you know what I'm saying? I mean, it's like wanting an ulcer. You don't want that. It's fine. Anybody, did anybody see Obama beforehand? Yeah. Let me tell you, I got to be honest with you. So here, I'm in the kitchen and I'm making some jalapeno poppers, okay? I'm in there cutting on cutting, all right? Real good. And I hear in the living room, I hear President Obama is about to be interviewed. Yeah. I put down what I was doing, went in there. I was interested. Oh, yeah. And I thought to myself, would I be as interested if this were an old guy? You know what I mean? If it were Bush? Yeah. And the typical, you know, here, here, here, here, here, here. Yeah. You know, and I was kind of excited. And I even thought to myself, you know, when he said, people think I'm cool. You know, my daughters are cool. I was like. Yeah, he kind of looked kind of cooler. He was wearing just a button-down shirt. He wasn't wearing a suit and tie. He was just like everybody else. You know what I mean? I actually went number one before I came out here. I'm just like everybody. I did, too. Yeah, and a two. I wasn't going to mention it, but I just want you to know I'm like everybody. I saved it. That's right. Well, you know, prosperity. They say the first 100 days. That's gross. Save everything.
I had the photographer in there. All right. That's disgusting. It's history. You're disgusting. It's history. All right. History. I called it two on two. That's what I called it. Really? It's my second day in office. Are you proud of yourself? I called it two on two. Stop it. Hey. God. Oh, man. Oh, wow. Well, call. And I just got a text from Skye. She'll be here in about 20 minutes. Oh, really? Yeah. That's sweet. I love her. Can she? I'm interested to hear Sky's thoughts on this. I'm interested to hear what Sky thought of the commercials. How Ashley is pissing me off. Yes. I want to know Sky's thoughts. Stop it. Stop being you. Hey, P1 Steve, you there? Yeah. You know stuff about spider bites? Yeah. Hey, I doubt it very seriously if it was a spider bite. It's probably a staph infection. Why do you think that?
Because I've had two of them, and that's what I thought the first time that I went in. Why? Because it looks like a big spider bite, but it's like a large boil. They wouldn't let her come back if it was staph infection. That is true. It's very contagious. That's true. That's contagious? Yeah, staph infection is contagious. But it's not what she has because she has very particular symptoms. He's like, whatever you say the symptoms are, I'll say that's what I had. I don't care what you say. I will make this staff infection. I'm going to match you. I believe him. I'm like, dude, but she was bleeding from her eyeballs. Staff infection. Yeah, me too. I was bleeding from my eyeballs. I'm doing it right now. I'm actually still bleeding from my eyeballs. You can get it from using the bathroom with the door open. Oh, I didn't know that. Well, then you're right. I should reconsider. All right, dude. All right, dude. Thanks. It's P1 Steve. P1. Can we fix this? Why would we need to? I mean, it wasn't always. Sounds good. It does? Yeah. We kind of like that, right? Yeah, people like it. Yeah. It's like Tron. Dude, it's 2009. We realize this, right? Yeah. 2009. That's what it happens.
Big John, what's up? You want Big John on the line. Yeah, good morning, guys. How you doing today? Good, man. What's up? Well, I just heard you talking about President Barack Obama, and I read a story in a paper yesterday about how he's got this new email address and stuff, and I learned that no president to date has ever used email before up there in office, but he does now. And it's a huge thing about how very few people who are people who used to have his email just before don't have it anymore. Well, yeah, man. It's like, you know, like his BlackBerry and everything. Like, no president's been allowed to do that. And he was getting asked by Matt Lauer yesterday about the BlackBerry. Let's talk about the BlackBerry, all right? You got to keep it. I did. Can I see it? You know, I didn't bring it down here. No? No, it's...
It's like Inspector Gadget. If you touched it, it might blow up. I kind of envision that. It's like Q in the James Bond movie. Did he give you like fingerprint recognition technology or something? That works. That works. It turns into a car if I have to make a quick getaway. How many people have that email address? A handful. Look, there are security issues involved, and so we've got to make sure that I'm not creating a situation where... You know, potentially people can compromise our systems. But like world leaders, can they contact you on that, BlackBerry? Typically, world leaders are going to be contacting me through the Oval Office. They know how to reach me. Sasha and Malia? Sasha and Malia can always contact me. Oprah? Well... You're not going to hook me up, are you? Matt, do you want one? No, I want your email address. I want to communicate with you during the game. I like your son. I might give it to him. I'm not going to give it to you. Give it to your papa, okay? President Obama, why can I not have your email, please? I think Matt Lauer should have said, can I, listen. Did you give it to Billy Bush? Did you? Don't lie. I'll be so mad at you. If I talk to Billy Bush and he's like, oh, I just got a text from Obama, I'm going to be mad. It'll hurt me. Yeah, well, I thought that he said a couple of things during that interview where I was like, I wonder if he should say that.
He said at one point that one of his Secret Service guy's sons plays for the Florida Gators. And I'm like, are you supposed to like say, you know, that like, you know, it is called Secret Service. You know, I don't know that we're supposed to know that. You know, it's a mistake probably, you know, but I bet they pull him aside and they're like, you know, Mr. President, don't announce. Like, you know, where the different Secret Service guys' families, you know, work. Don't give out your email address. Don't. Don't do that. Don't give out identities. Why? I'm going to give it out right now. It's Obama64 at Yahoo.com. Oh, great. One of my Secret Service guys' wives works at 2424 Midway Drive. What's the problem? Her cell phone is 294. Area code 294. 570-1053 is number. I want to let you know. We have so much audio. We got to go over the commercials.
And what you thought. In fact, let's go over the commercials next. I have three. Give me an email. The first three are always blank. You've got mail. No, I don't. Wait around a little bit longer. You've got mail. Oh, there they are. No, not yet. I wait around so long, I just end up calling them. Hey, Mom, how you doing? Girl, I was just emailing you. I know. Just figure I'd give you a call, see if everything was okay, you know. Your cousin had a baby and I was going to send you a picture. Oh, you were going to do an attachment? Bless your heart, bless your heart. I'll tell you what, Ma, just ship me the baby and I'll take his picture and ship it back to you. I think that'll be faster. Let's do it that way.

Eddie. Yes, Mike, I have a gambling problem. No. Boston Rob. It's a Mike show. It is 641. And Eddie, I saw the wrestler. Oh, you did? Yeah. I saw it. I saw it on Saturday. I loved it, dude. I really, I really liked it. And you know, man, I think Mickey Rourke is crazy. He's every bit of that, dude. He's every bit of it. He deserves it. You know, if he wins, he's so good now, man. And, you know, you find that character so likable. And if I ever were to.
You know how I love movies and directing and all that? And I really like some directors, how they do stuff. If I were a movie director, I would want my movies to look like that movie looked. You know, everything was very, it was almost like a documentary. Grainy. Grainy and just kind of dark. And it looked very real. You know, it all looked, it didn't look like a movie. It looked real. And, oh man, if you never heard of this movie, The Wrestler, it's about. uh, dude, Mickey Rourke, that was big time in the eighties wrestler. And now he's just trying to like get by in life. Didn't you think that it was like that Jake, the snake Roberts thing for sure. I mean, I thought that they owe like a story credit to that or something. Absolutely. It's a documentary called Beyond the Mat. And Jake the Snake Roberts, who was a huge wrestler in the 80s, they follow him around kind of like now. And he's kind of that story where he's like this broken down, kind of drugged out wrestler who wrestles in like bingo halls and things like that. And has a strange relationship with his daughter. And they have that storyline in the wrestler. With as much as you loved wrestling, I was just watching it going, oh, I want to know.
Oh, Skye's back. Holy cow. Skye, turn the lights on. Can I see this? Turn the lights on. Get ready to be grossed out. Is it just trippy? It's gnarly. Let me see. Let me see. Let me see. Dude! Let me see. It's on both sides? What did they say? I'll suck the poison out. Turn the lights off. Ouch. Dude, what did they say? Those are like huge red welts. Yeah. What did they say? Okay, hold on. I need info. Oh, man. I need info. It's like she's got a couple of, I don't know, they're like the size of small pancakes. You know, like those little silver dollar pancakes. Yeah. So, went to urgent care. Don't laugh at me. Whatever this is, it's going to be great. Oh, no. It's just so typical, man.
So I, like, hate going to the doctor. That's why I, like, put it off. I knew last night that I should have gone to, like, urgent care or the ER when I was, like, really getting some bad, like, symptoms, you know, like cramping and sweating and nausea and the whole dizziness, the whole thing. Oh. Yeah, yeah. Did it go? Well, the boo was trying to, oh, you're fine. You're fine. Oh, man. Here I am freaking out. That doesn't look fine. Yeah. If I would have saw that, I would have like, let's go. And that looks good. Today looks like. like a lot better than it looked yesterday. Like yesterday it was so much puffier and bigger. It's so weird that it's on your sides. Yeah, there's like one on like each hip. I don't know how that went down. Were you scratching it like crazy? No, no, that's without scratching it. I haven't been scratching it. Don't scratch it. No, that's what my husband kept saying. You have to be scratching it for it to look like that. I'm like, I swear I'm not. It's just like insane. Yeah. So I... I decided this morning, okay, because I could barely sleep last night because my abdominal cramping was really bad, and I WebMD'd that that's part of a spider, like a really bad spider bite. The, like, venom makes your, like, gives you, like, abdominal cramping. And so finally this morning I was like, you know what? Blackadder. What? Black. Could be. I don't know what that is. They crawl up in your bed and they get you in the night. Okay. It's actually a snake.
Okay. Well, I don't think, I think I would have noticed a snake around my waist. I'm just, just a guess. So, um, so this morning I'm like feeling horrible. So I'm looking for urgent cares and there's no urgent care open, uh, near my house at that time of the morning. I don't like the ER. You get sick when you go to the ER. I don't care for that. Um, there's sick people everywhere. And plus like last people in here. So who's sick? Rob, are you sick? No, I was. Okay. Go ahead. Eddie's just very sensitive. Well, and plus, last night when I was thinking about going to the ER, I'm like, it's going to be all these drunk Super Bowl people who, like, punched a window or stabbed themselves. Like, I don't want to see that. Stab themselves. You don't know what happened? Typical Super Bowl fight. Yeah. Ah, the Cardinals didn't win. Stab, stab. Bruce Springsteen. Yeah. So... So I noticed online there's a 24-hour urgent care over here by the radio station. So I was like, you know what, I'll come in, I'll get the news set up, and then I'll go over there, get it taken care of. Hopefully it won't take too long. So I get over there. I'm the only one in there. Huge. Yeah, which is awesome. The chick, like, didn't really know about my insurance. She's like, well, your home address is in Escondido, and normally if you're more than 20 miles outside your home address, it's not considered in-network.
And I'm like, well, that's not true because my husband went to urgent care once up in San Francisco and that was in network. And so I had to go on her computer and go on to the health. You went on her computer. I'm like, can I please just go on your computer and look up and double check? Because I'm not going to pay $800 to have somebody tell me I have a freaking spider bite, you know? So I'm like, can I just please get on your computer and double, triple check that you're in the network? Right. So I did. Okay, fine. So I'm already like. Like, you're so whatever. Okay. So, go to see, get in to see the doctor. And he looks at my chart and looks at my name and he says, you're not black. What the hell? You're not black. And he says, you have a black person's last name. What? What? Very typical. And I said, no, no, I'm not. And he goes, your husband black? No. What? No. Your last name is very common. It's not like. Yeah, and he's a black doctor. Oh, okay. He's a black guy. I don't know if that makes any difference. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, maybe he's thinking he's having a good time or something. Yeah. It would be totally and completely racist if it was a white guy. Yeah. So, okay. Yeah, so we've established that I am not black. And according to him, I have a black person's last name.
Okay. He's black. I give him a break on that one. I'm already weirded out. I'm weirded out, you know. At this point, I'm, like, double-checking his name tag to make sure it actually says doctor on it. Yeah. And then he starts to ask me, you know, oh, you got these spider bites? And then I, like, show him. He goes, oh! He kind of, like, jumped back. He goes, oh! And then he goes, well, what were you wearing out in the yard? He's like, you know, you're supposed to cover up when you're, you know, working. I'm like, well, yeah, I thought I was covered, but I guess, you know, not as much as I should have been and weird. And then so since abdominal cramping was one of my symptoms, he starts doing the touchy feely around the stomach, like pressing, you know, does this hurt? Does this hurt? Does this hurt? And then he looks at me and goes, this isn't going to be fun. And I look at him and I'm like. What? Like thinking I'm about to get a shot. He's like, yeah, people don't like this. And I'm like, what? He's like, well, we're going to have to do something with your. And then he uses a slang term for one of my body parts. No. Oh, come on. Yeah. Wow. What? Yes. No. Yes. Slang street talk referring to one of my orifices that needs to be inspected because of the abdominal cramping. No way. Yeah.
I would have freaked out. And then I'm just looking at him very uncomfortable. And then he looks at me. He goes, are you okay? And I'm like, ah. He goes, oh, do you want a chaperone in here? Because normally when male doctors, if they're alone in a room with a female and they're going to examine them, oh, another woman needs to be present. Sure. But he asks me if I want one. He doesn't just immediately call for her. He asks me if I want one. That's so weird. Dude. And I'm like, yes, yes, I want a chaperone. Yes, I'd like a chaperone. Oh, wow. And then chaperone comes in. And then he goes, well, I think you're going to be OK, but I'd like to give you this shot and this drug and this and that. And I'm like, well, you know what? If it's not really urgent, I'd rather get an injection from my primary care doctor. And if I can hold off a few more hours and just go see my regular doctor up in Escondido, I'd rather do that. And he's like. Are you sure? Because I could totally give this to you now. And I'm like, no. What did he want to give you? No. He wanted to give me an injection at the site for the redness and the swelling and the itching. And then he also wanted to prescribe some antibiotics just in case they were infected. What is it? Looks like a spider bite, Mike. He doesn't know. Basically, I learned nothing by going through that. Basically, you got molested. Basically, I paid a nice chunk of change to be told I have a black last name.
to use street terms for my body, and to learn nothing. So, yeah. So he didn't tell you what he thinks was wrong with you? No, he just, you know, basically what I knew, that these are side effects from the venom. You know, there's one side effect that I'm experiencing that he just can't explain, so he doesn't really know, but hopefully it'll just take care of itself. Hopefully it will disappear. He didn't at any point go, Hey, looks like you got a da-da-da. No, looks like you got a spider bite. He did say that. Yeah. He said it looks like you got a spider bite. Dude. That's weird. It was like... Do we know... Does he even say like what he thinks? Kind of like Black Widow. Brown, what to avoid, what, you know, like what that might be. Like you could have went on Wikipedia. Wait a minute. Well, I did, I did. Check it out. I mean, I did find out more last night on the internet. Here's what's weird is that there's one bite on one side and there's another bite on the other side. So did you get bit in your home? Did you get bit outside? Was it the same spider bit you here, bit you over here? Yeah. Because I saw one of these shows on Discovery where a dude was laying in bed. He was like sleeping.
And the spider bit him when he was sleeping, and he didn't realize it and kind of brushed it off. Oh, yeah, I saw that one. You saw that? Yeah. You know what I'm talking about? But that was a brown recluse, so. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was really bad. She would know. Yeah, like I looked. No, no, no. Remember? Because in that, the after effects, it took, I think, like a week for it to really hit him. Hey, when did you notice that? Well, I noticed it right away. I was pulling weeds in the yard on Saturday. And then all of a sudden I felt this like little itch. And like we always have like, you know, we live in Escondido. We back up to an orchard. There's like bugs everywhere. And so I just brushed it off thinking, ah, whatever, you know. And then next thing you know, my other side started to itch. It was just an itch? You didn't feel like, it wasn't like a bee sting? No, it wasn't like a hardcore anything. It just kind of felt like maybe I got bit by a mosquito or something. You know what I mean? Like just kind of like that. And then I went inside like an hour later and took a shower and immediately it just started to balloon and balloon and balloon. And then by last night was when I was getting the crazy, you know, sweats and the nausea and the abdominal cramping. Are you allergic to anything? Not that I know of.
But I checked online, and the bike doesn't have any of the, like, description of, like, a black widow or brown recluse. You know, there's certain, like, rings and colors and stuff like that. And it'll be, like, really hot. Yeah, it is pretty warm. It's all warm and puffy. Is there, like, a spider that they say matches that? Yeah, I don't know. Not that specifically I could find online, but I started looking like I Googled images, spider bites, but then it was starting to make me feel like I need to puke after looking at so many of those pictures. So I don't know, dude. Man, this is like this new show I'm watching called Mystery Diagnosis. Yeah. Where they don't know what it is and they go to all these doctors and they can figure it out. And it really helped a lot with you guys talking about that bot fly last week. That was really cool. Maybe it's a bot fly. That was really cool. What do you want me to pull it out? No. I'll do it. I'll do it. Maybe we should take a picture of it and put it on the web and see if the P1s can diagnose me. Can you identify this? Yeah. Someone's seen this before? Dude, it's pretty gnarly. Dude. Wow.
That's a trip. The doctor's a trip, too. I'm black and I'm proud. I guess so, man. You could have an allergic reaction to, like, maybe something that isn't as intense as a spider bite. Yeah, well, we have red ants, too, but I don't know. Yeah, I remember working in your yard. There were a bunch of red ants. I never got bit. Can you be allergic to them? If you're allergic to the toxin. Whatever it is, she's allergic to it. Yeah, because it could just be an ant bite. And then she could be allergic. But those ants, I think, they wouldn't, you'd feel a bite. Like, it wouldn't be like an itch. Yeah. Like, you would have felt a bite. Super Bowl stuff. We got to do Super Bowl stuff. We got to go over Super Bowl stuff. I'm figuring this out, Mike. All right, take a picture. Take a picture. Take a picture. Take a picture. Mikey, Mikey. You are listening to The Mikey. Rock 105.3. And he looks at me, he's like, Benadryl? And I said, well, yeah, it says right on there for insect bites, poison IV. And he goes, oh, well, then I guess that's okay. Oh, okay. Like, you don't know what Benadryl is. Oh, he was saying it like he didn't know what Benadryl was? No, well, like he was saying it like, why would you put Benadryl on there? And then once you told him what it was for, he's like, oh, that makes sense. You know what? Let me write you a prescription for that. I'm glad you did that. So weird. He's like, hey, if you figure out anything else that works, let me know. I'd like to, you know, I'd like to know. Exactly. What about this? Now, top sports stories of the day. It's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Before we get into Super Bowl XLIII, there was other sports that went on over the weekend. I know, it's crazy. The NFL Hall of Fame class was named, which is pretty cool. Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, Derek Thomas, Randall McDaniel, Bob Hayes, and Ralph Wilson are the 09 class. That's cool. Yeah. That's cool. Some big names left off, though, like Shannon Sharp. Really? Chris Carter. Didn't make it. They're not on the list. Oh, wow. I was shocked about those two guys. I thought for sure they would be in. Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson underwent a heart transplant. Whoa. Are you serious? Yeah.
He has a new heart? Yeah, well, the hospital can't comment on his medical condition and stuff like that, but I did know that he was sick and stuff like that, and he needed a heart, and apparently he got one. Really? So, yeah, we'll have to wait and see how he's doing with that. Darren Sproles has come out and says that he wants to stay with the Chargers, but he actually is going to test the free agent market. No! What does that mean? It means that he's going to field offers. He's going to see what they're going to give him. See what's out there. It's better than what he's got right now. Yeah. So, big UFC fight this weekend. Saw George St. Pierre ground and pound his way to victory over BJ Penn. Just like I predicted. GSP. GSP. Killed him? He dominated him. Absolutely dominated him. Well, BJ got gassed, you know, just like we thought he might. Yeah, his conditioning wasn't up to par. I mean, GSP is a freak. He's a genetic freak. And, you know, you can't keep pace with that guy unless you're in the same kind of shape that he is. And nobody's in that kind of shape. Was it even fun to watch or was it? You know, I thought the card as a whole was very disappointing. Thank you. You know, almost every fight on the card went the distance. Like there were no finishes. So that was hard to watch except for Machida. Machida knocked out.
Thiago Silva. He looked real good, right? It was very impressive. But the GSP fight was fun to watch just because GSP is one of those guys. He's like an Anderson Silva that's pound for pound one of the best fighters in the world. So you're watching a guy that's like, wow, he's so much better than everybody else. And so, I mean, it was not even close. What was funny to me is... You know, on that primetime show that I was telling you guys about where they followed their training camps and stuff, one of the big things that BJ Penn was, you know, he talked a lot of trash about George St. Pierre. And one of the things he was saying is, oh, George is a quitter. You know, he quit in the fight against Matt Serra. And I'm going to make him quit. And BJ ended up quitting. So, I mean, I was like, man, that is poetic justice. You know, if you're going to talk trash, then, you know, there you go. All right, let's talk about it. Super Bowl XLIII. All right. Pittsburgh won its sixth Super Bowl title, but it was not easy. It took a last-second touchdown to Santonio Holmes to beat the Cardinals 27-24. Here's the catch. All I know is when I saw the ref put his hands up that it was a touchdown, I thought, it can't be, man. He looked like he was, no, it can't be. I immediately was like, let me see the replay.
That was close. And the angle they were showing was from above. Yeah. You were trying to figure out if he was touching. His feet ran. But it was. He was. Antonio Holmes was named the game's MVP with nine catches for 131 yards and a touchdown. Dude. And Steelers won. Oh, that stings. So brutal. It stings, Mike. It's okay. Baseball's right around the corner, everyone. I guess so. It makes me so sick. Next week's the Pro Bowl. I hate that football's over. Oh, I can't wait for baseball. I can't wait. Oh, you forgot to bring... Sorry about this, everyone, in sports dirt. We forgot to talk about the biggest story of the entire weekend. What? The captain, Jason Varitek, re-signed with the Red Sox for a year and option for 2010. He's really something else, that guy. I cannot believe you left that out. The day after the Super Bowl. You think that's the biggest story? Super Bowl took place this weekend? How dare you. I just know there's nine days until pitchers and catchers report. Okay, well. There's a lot of people out there that thanking their radios. He's physically making me feel bad. Yeah, you're telling me. I don't know why he acts like this.
Did you guys eat any good food? Yeah. Yeah. Super Bowl is good for food. For sure. I made horrible nachos. You did? Oh, what happened? Dude, so I buy the Cheese Whiz. Cheese Whiz. That's the good stuff for the nachos. Sure. And I zap it in the micro. Everything's good. I mean, it's piping hot. Do you think microwave Cheese Whiz? I didn't know. I don't know. I had no idea. Well, how else do you get it hot? I had no idea you even heat up cheese whiz. Do you spray it out of the can and then heat it up? I didn't know that either. It's not like the... It's not the aerosol stuff. It's not the aerosol stuff. It comes in a jar. I had no idea. It's like a cheese sauce. It's called cheese whiz, though. A jar of cheese whiz. I've seen that. Didn't know. Okay. So warmed it, zapped it. It was piping hot. I put it on the nachos, put the little jalapenos on there. It's great. Yeah. Go sit down to eat it. And I don't know what happened, but as soon as the cheese whiz hit the atmosphere, it like... got hard. I'm like, this isn't cheese sausage. What happened? It was disgusting. One of the great qualities of cheese whiz. It was tasted like whiz. 570. Oh, yuck. That's bad. 570-1053 is a phone number. And we don't have text anymore. Sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But Danny, Danny, P1 Danny.
he may have a solution for us. He's telling me about a solution that we may be able to do. Everyone's just going to text him or call in and go, I just got this one. Exactly. P1 Ponce, are you there? What's up, man? What's going on? So me and all my buddies were watching the game yesterday and this unbelievable comeback that Kurt Warner did. And then when Holmes got that touchdown, we all looked at each other and said, thanks, Ashley. She jinxed him, man. You know what? I'm going to go ahead and take this second to apologize. Thank you. And let me just say this. But you guaranteed victory. Right. Which, okay, I just got to say, this was my first year really getting into football. This was my first year. Really having a team that I loved, which was the Chargers, but then having a player like Fitzgerald that I followed. And I didn't, you know, I'm new to the rules and regulations of, like, superstitions and, like, what you can and can't say. When I said I guaranteed victory. Yeah, she knows because she's heard it a million times. She's on the show, and you guys have made me do many un-jinxing things. Well, needless to say, it was a slip of the tongue, and I learned my lesson. It's not going to happen again. Great. And I apologize for jinxing to them. P1 Penguin is online.
Hi, Penguin. Hi, Penguin. Good morning, you guys. How are you? I just need to know, Mikey, did you buy that jersey? No. Aw. Sad face. No. Okay, well, I was going to call Karma, but I guess not. You did the right thing by not buying it. But I'm a fan of the Cardinals. I thought, you know, you can be a fan. Mike had a huge off-air conversation with me about this. Really? What? We like so got into his head about the whole jinxing and the jersey and he wanted to know the rules and why. Why are you talking to Scott? Well, because she said that her husband was really upset that I was going to get a jersey, you know, and that it made me a Fairweather fan. Yeah. I was saying he agreed with Penguin as a 49er fan to get a Arizona jersey. You don't see any Patriots fans going out and buying Roethlisberger jerseys. Yeah, yeah. I understand. Well, listen, I liked the Cardinals before they were ever even in the NFC West. And so what do you do? You can't abandon your heart. Just go, hey.
I still have to root for him, you know? Good job, guys. But, yeah, it's a Jersey thing. I love those Cardinals. Yeah. I felt so terrible for them yesterday. I wanted them to win. It was close. Yeah. But Tomlin deserved it. They all deserved it. Come on. You heard the speech. You heard how you with it. Yeah. Hey, listen. What are you going to do? Those Steelers are so good, man. Yeah, they are. They got a good defense. Toughest schedule in the league. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on. They deserved it. Yeah, they deserved it. Aw. All right. Thanks, Penguin. It was a good day. It was a good day yesterday. You guys have a good day today. All right. Thanks. She likes football. She loses her voice a little bit after the games. Commercials were terrible, in my opinion. Thank you. There's only one good one. There's only one good one. I hope we agree. I hope we agree. I don't think so. We're not going to agree. Me and Sky will agree for sure. I liked one. What was yours? I'll play it for you. All right. I liked this one. The economy's been a little rough, man. Oh, man, just brutal. You know, it's times like these that E-Trade can really help you replan your investments. So, you know, it gives you the tools and research. Take control. Rise up. Dude, no, no, no, no, no, no. What? Stop. Wait, I can't flex the old pipes. It's not the venue. It's inspirational. Any place. Fine. Okay, where was I? I'm going to fly.
You got me. The baby's talking always gets me. It's always a good one. And the baby's cool, you know, like the baby's so cool. Yeah. I like those E-Trade commercials. I like that. I've always liked those. What did you like, Eddie? The best commercial by far. Please, Eddie. This guy, MacGruber. MacGruber was funny. Yeah, MacGruber. I liked MacGruber. And do you know about MacGruber, Mike? I do not, but I thought MacGruber was funny. MacGruber is a Saturday Night Live skit. Really? Yeah. And they'll do it different weeks about, you know, different things in pop culture, like the meltdown of the stock market or MacGruber's gay and all these different things. And they turned it into a commercial. Well, I've never seen MacGruber. Yeah. Pepsuber now. I'm sorry. I've never seen it. It was funny, though. Now, I don't have I don't have MacGruber, the actual MacGruber commercial. They played in the Super Bowl, but I have it from Saturday Night Live. OK. Same thing, right? Yeah. OK, let's see. I had it, then I lost it. Where is it? I don't know. Here it is. Found it. Find it already. The guys are freaking stupid. Gruber, the store is wealthed shut. From the looks of that dynamite. Just stay calm, because everything I need to defuse this bomb is inside this room. Vicky, toss me that pen cap. New guy, what's your name again? MacGyver. MacGyver? That's a stupid name. Okay, MacGyver, pass me that thumbtack. I'd go with the gum wrapper. Well, MacGyver, you're not MacGruber. And I'm glad I'm not. Good.
Good. Good. Good. Good. By the way, the 80s called me with their hair back. Your hair is way more 80s. We're running out of time. Give Vicky. Hand me that Pepsi. Here you go. Get Pepsi break. You just said we're running out of time. There's always time. For Pepsi. That's awesome. I liked it. Oh, he is the best. I liked it. 5701053. What did we miss? What was good? What did you like? I, you know. For the most part, I was like, eh. I am so over the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials. Me too. Every year with them, I'm done. I'm over it. Wasn't every commercial a Budweiser commercial? Seems like it. Apparently, they're not hurt by the economy. Hey, and did you guys hear that Miller was going to be doing 31-second commercials? Did you hear that? Somebody came over yesterday and said, hey, did you hear they're doing that? And I'm like, and then this morning when I was in Starbucks, Somebody mentioned it in there. They were talking about it. And I'm like, I don't even know what that is. I didn't even notice. And I didn't see any, you know. But there was two different people. Would you even see it if it was one second? Thousand one, you would. But it sounded like.
Goofy. You know, I don't know. I didn't see it. But anyway, if anybody knows anything about that, let us know. I wanted that Conan O'Brien commercial to be really funny, but it was just kind of like, eh. Didn't you guys kind of have that feeling of like, there were certain commercials that you wanted it to be funnier than it was? Yes, absolutely. And, you know, we were watching right before the Super Bowl starts. You know, we're like all, you know, ready for the funny Super Bowl commercials. And they put the commercial up about taking steroids. And I'm like, that's not that funny. I know. I'm like, wow, that's really not getting me in the mood here. Maybe you don't get it. Maybe I just don't get it. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. 105.3. Brought to you locally by Escondido Psycho Center. The southbound 15, pretty jammed up as always. Out of Escondido, off to 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Once you're clearly conscious, though, you're good to go. Westbound on the 56th, that's starting to see some tight traffic as well from Camino del Sur out past Carmo Valley. As coaster rides picking up some brake lights quickly, it's now slow out of La Costa into Solana Beach.
Plenty of stuff developing out of Santee now westbound on that 52 off the 125 up over the Mission Trail Summit. You've got the westbound 8 also getting into it. First, it slows in the Cajon Valley coming in from Greenfield out to East Main Street. The usual backup again developing through the Mesa Spring Street out to Lake Murray when you let you go. And both the 505 northbound, they've got a little bit of tight traffic now out of Chula Vista up to National City. Nothing too unusual. The 8 will fly. Certainly the season will reduce speeds, though, through North Park. And now you've got to have slowdown just over the 52 out of Kearney Mesa. I'm McLaurin's on Rock 105.3. The Gladiator Challenge. Did you guys see Journey? Oh, yeah. Did you guys see it? Eddie, you saw it? Oh, yeah. Sky, did you watch any of the pre-stuff? Pregame. Pregame? Oh, no. So weird. Dude, dude. So weird. Why? Anybody else see it? Nuh-uh. No? Okay. So Journey performs before the Super Bowl. How did I miss this? And how is this not, like, huge news? Well, dude, when did you start watching? Huge news. See, we had it all. Did you really, Eddie? Oh, my gosh. Rob, what did you watch? We had it on. We had our main TV and the backyard TV going. So it was on. I was kind of doing other stuff and kind of cooking. You see Journey, Ashley? No. Journey performs beforehand, okay? And they have a new lead singer. They've had two since Steve Perry left, and they're impressionists, basically. There are people that do a good impression of Journey. This guy's Asian. Like, what is he, Eddie? From the Philippines, maybe? I think so. I think he's from the Philippines. But I said to Rebecca, I said, you know, every once in a while in his phrasing, you'll hear an accent. You know? And he'll be like, it was like, don't stop.
I'm not kidding you. For real. Dude, I'm not joking with you. It's true. It's for real. Can I YouTube this? You can. You can for sure. His voice, it sounds like Steve Perry. He won a karaoke contest to become the new singer of Journey. They saw him. He's got a huge voice. He's not quite Steve Perry, but Mike's right. Every once in a while, he'll say a word, and I'll be like, Whoa. What happened right there? That's not right. Yeah. It's great. It's amazing. It's like a whole other level of journey. It really is. It's so awesome. It really, really is. Let's see. Commercials that sucked. There was a lot of commercials. All of them. All of them. They really did, man. Like they weren't very, I didn't think they were very good. Whatever. You can call and tell us what you thought of these things. because we're going to be going over it anyway. We're going to be playing you some more audio from this stuff. But we did Weekend Worry Wart on Friday. This is where we have people call us up and tell us what they're worried about, what they have going on. And we had some pretty good ones, man. We had some people that called in that said some pretty wild stuff that they were going through. This is P1 Looney Shivers. I'm Palmdale to ask my dad and my stepmom to pay for some of my weddings.
There it is. That's what Weekend Worry Ward is. You're just freaked out because you're going to be doing something that makes you really nervous over the weekend, and then on Monday morning we check back in with you, and we find out how it went. P1 Looney shivers. Yeah. You asked your parents to pay for the wedding? I did. I went up there, and we were going to go pick up my grandma, and we had to return some stuff for her at some stores, and I asked my dad then. How should I bring it up to my stepmom? Because it was more of her I was asking. And he was like, okay, let me think about it. And so we went to dinner. And then after dinner, we went back to my grandma's house. And they're talking about my sister's wedding. And I'm sitting there freaking out. And I said, okay, I'm just going to do it like this. And right before I could talk, my dad brings up the whole subject. So it was pretty much him asking, then me. And then they kind of looked at me. And I was like, yeah, we really need help. I went into my field and my grandma says, oh, yeah, we'll help with whatever. And then my stepmom, you know, reeled her back in and says, well, you know, we need to be on a budget. We can help with those things. But make sure they take credit cards and make sure you get it the best deal possible. So they are going to help. That's cool. Nice. That's cute. Very cool. Yeah. That worked out good. Thank you, Looney Shivers. We appreciate it. All right. Thank you. Next up was Erica. Tonight is my dad's birthday.
And I haven't spoken to him in three years. And we've had some issues. He knows about my daughter, but he's never met her. She's 14 months old. And tonight's his 60th birthday, and my uncle's throwing him a surprise party. And he knows that his brother has never met his granddaughter. And he invited us, and so I guess we're just going to surprise him. Hasn't seen the guy. That's crazy. For years. For years. Her dad, right? Yeah. Her dad. Never seen the baby. Going to be at a surprise party? Here I am. Big surprise. Here's your granddaughter, Erica. Hello. How did it go? It was fabulous. Really? Yeah. What happened? Wow. Well, we walked in, and there weren't hardly anybody. Nobody was there yet, really, except for my dad and my aunt and uncle and my other aunt and uncle. And we walked in, and he just started crying. Really? Wow. Wow. That's awesome. And did you guys start to talk after he started to cry? Well, kind of. My daughter doesn't like adults, so I was spending more time trying to comfort her because she was scared. Your other daughter? No, my only daughter. Your only daughter. So how old is she? 14 months. Okay, and she gets kind of freaked out. Yeah, she likes kids. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And now she's got like a crying grandpa standing there. Well, he wasn't crying, but his eyes were watering, and he had to put on his sunglasses.
She started crying, and he said, oh, I'm right there with your kid. Wow. Oh, I love it. So did this get you guys to talk a little bit? Do you think that you'll have a relationship now? Yeah. Wow. He told her when we were leaving, he said, when I put her in the car, he said, well, I hope I get to know you. Well, that's, I mean, best case scenario right there, right? Yeah. Well, that's cool. Well, hey, I appreciate you calling in and giving us the update. Thanks a lot, Erica. Thank you. That's a good one. P1, I can't feel my face. I don't know if you remember. I called in a couple of weeks, a couple of weeks, a couple of months ago. And I told you that my 40-year-old wife was pregnant. I was going to tell my family. That's right. Yeah. And now you were a Mexican guy. He's 19. Yeah, you're 19, right? Yeah, I'm 20 now. Okay, now you're 20. She's 40. She's pregnant. And you told your Hispanic mom and dad, and they were upset, right? Yeah, at first they didn't like it. I told them, and then I told the family that we still talk to, and pretty much everyone. Okay. And then this weekend, I got to call everybody and tell them that my wife lost a baby. Oh, tough. Wow. Did you do it? I can't feel my face.
Yeah, I did. I called up the family that live in Mexico. And I called them up and at first I called them up and I told all of them that, yeah, you know, I was with a 40-year-old woman and she was pregnant. And, you know, they just gave the whole snide remarks and the, oh, I can't believe this. Now that was a while back, right? Yeah, that was about November, I think. That you told them that. And so this weekend you've got to tell them and say, hey. She lost the baby. Was she, were the family excited for a time after they got over the initial shock? Like, I told them, and mainly the people that were most excited was my mom. Because, like, my sister already had, like, my sister had a baby a couple of months ago. Where you at, dude? Work? Yeah, I'm at work. What are we hearing in the background? That is a, well, that's not my work, but that's a landscaper. Gotcha. Sorry about that, guys. It's okay. So anyway, so what happened? Well, first I told my direct family, my mom and my dad, and then my mom got really upset about it because she was kind of looking forward to it now. She got over the shock, and then I told the rest of my family, and they're all pretty, they're all jerks, so they thought, oh, well, you see, that's a sign that you guys shouldn't be together. Oh, man, that's awful. That's too bad. That is awful. That is too bad.
And, you know, there's really no way to react to that. I mean, there's really no way to react to that. And it's not like they're going to say that and you're going to say, gee, you know, thank you. And, you know, boy, you're right about that one. I'll really take that into consideration. Yeah. That's too bad, man. I'm sorry that that was the reaction. No, that's fine. I mean, we're going to keep trying to have a kid. We're going to get, what's it called, fertility treatments this time. Yeah. Hey, don't be like that chick that we've been reading about in the news had like 450 kids. And it's all through that. I read about that. Now, we're going to hopefully be careful. Hopefully, we'll just get twins. Yeah. All right, brother. Well, thank you, P1. I can't feel my face. Thanks a lot, guys. All right. This is the last one. This was Spaz. I had a baby. And she's five months old. And her father has no idea that... You know, that it's a girl that is here. He knows I was pregnant, but he has no idea that she's here. And it's been five. She's now five months. I go to school full time and I take care of her on my own. And I was thinking about going to his family this weekend, but I don't know. OK, cut off there. But she's saying she's saying she wanted to go to the family, but she didn't know what to do.
We were kind of all in agreement of like, hey, listen, you might hurt yourself more by doing that because this family obviously hasn't been interested this whole time. He's trying to force something. Yeah, and it may end up in more heartbreak than anything if they kind of do with that guy before. You know, his family was so unsupportive. They haven't been showing support. And so anyway, let's check in with her. P1 Spaz, you there? Hi, how you doing? Good. What happened? I chickened out. So I kind of went on the advice that you guys gave me, and I just decided that it would probably hurt me more than help because of the way that I've been treated thus far. You know, I do the child support thing, shout out to, but I'm okay right now, and I'm doing okay, and I'm going to be graduating soon, and I'll be able to fully support her on my own. And I just think that it's best that... Just for myself, because I have enough going on in my life that we just kind of, I just kind of just let him do, if he wants to come, then he needs to come to me. Because I've already, you know, they know I had a baby. I mean, they've got to be retarded to not know that I had a child. And, you know, he gave me 30 seconds of his time, and that's being generous. And you know what? Hey, we were together for two and a half years.
Most of it was good, but most of it was bad. So a lot of it was good, a lot of it was bad. So you know what? I can thank him for her, and that's about it. She's the joy of my life. She turned my life completely and absolutely around. I am nothing like I was. I was a bartender for 14 years, and I go to school full-time, and I am all about school and learning and graduating in July, and I'm going to be an amazing pharmacy tech. And you know what? Nothing's going to stop me. That's cool. Yeah. Cool, Spaz. I appreciate the call. Thank you for giving us an update on that. I appreciate it. All right. Have a good day. You too. Huge story out there right now. Huge story out there right now is this deal with Michael Phelps. It's on TV right now. Have you heard about Michael Phelps? Oh, Michael Phelps. Dude. All right, Meredith, thanks. Let's start, though, with the fallout from that photo of Michael Phelps. He's now released a statement calling his behavior regrettable. This is a familiar photo of Michael Phelps gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated following a historic performance of the Beijing Olympics. But this photo could tarnish that golden boy image. It's a picture of him smoking a bond.
Michael Phelps reportedly smoking marijuana at a party. This kind of thing is harder for his image to sustain than someone with a bad boy image. If he was Kid Rock, this wouldn't be a problem. Kid Rock wouldn't lose any endorsements over this picture. The British tabloid... I'm glad that we got an expert. Yeah, that was huge. He had an expert opinion. To be able to explain that to us. ...of the world posted the photo reportedly taken this past November, just three months after Phelps swam his way into the history book. Swam his way into our hearts. I mean, after he swam away with our hearts is basically what they're saying. Thank you very much. Winning an unprecedented eight gold medals in Beijing. Oh, monkey show. You ran away with my part. In a statement released Sunday, Phelps said, quote, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. Legal experts say he could even face... The apology is sort of like double-handed. It's like, it's sort of like admitting, yeah, I did something wrong, but the word youthful also implies like, hey, listen.
I mean, I'm just a youngster. Come on. I don't know. I'm young. I don't know. It's based on the photo. If he pleads guilty as a first offender, he's not going to go to jail. He may not even get probation, but they're going to have to test him for drug use because if that is going to prevent him from competing. Go ahead, Rob. How are you going to get criminal charges for a pitcher like that? It's tobacco for all we know. Yeah, that's true. Oh, I thought she said he wouldn't get criminal charges. No, no, no. But in the beginning, she said there was going to be charges. It's just he could. He could. Yeah, he could. No, he cannot. He can't because they don't know what's in there. They don't know what's in it. They're going to have to know. This isn't the first time Phelps has faced a public relations challenge. Four years ago, after competing at the Athens Olympics. Is there any admission because he hasn't said that he was smoking tobacco in it? Like the fact that he's apologizing implies that he's done something wrong. You know, otherwise, wouldn't he just come out and say, hey, listen, you know, I was smoking tobacco in that thing. You know what I mean? He did guilty to drunk driving and was given 18 months probation. I spoke with him about that on today. The mistake that I made is a big mistake. And I have to wake up and and, you know, I look at myself in the mirror and.
I have to live with a mistake that I made. But this time, the consequences could be even more severe, if not in the court of law, then in the court of public opinion. This, on top of the drunk driving incident when he was 19, is not a good pattern. And, you know, I think he could probably survive a second one. I don't think he would survive a third one. I think people are forgiving to a point. Now, the U.S. Olympic Committee released this statement on Sunday. Quote, Michael is a role model and he's well aware of the responsibilities and accountability that come with setting a positive example for others, particularly young people. In this instance, regrettably, he failed to fulfill those responsibilities. What do you guys think? Okay. What do you guys think? Well, that's interesting. Yeah. I mean, it's tough because, you know. It's not like he's on a team or an organization or anything like that where he can get suspended or fined or anything. So he's just an individual who competes in the Olympics. So I don't know what to think about that. He swims. Yeah, but he is a role model. What does that mean, Rob? He swims. Well, Rob's making a face like, who cares? I don't know. For me, I just...
Can we get him out of the spotlight? He had his minute. I would think this would probably take him out of the spotlight a little bit. I'm hoping, man. Yeah, definitely. I'm just kind of over it. I don't know. How old is he? He's young, right? Yeah. It's like, come on, man. We've seen crazier things from Lindsay Lohan. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we expect that from Lindsay Lohan. It doesn't make it right. Yeah, it doesn't make it right. But still, you need 23. You know what? Dude, check it out. Check it out. If if my kid, you know, my kid's only two and a half, but let's say my kid's 10, you know, and my kid thinks that Michael Phelps is the coolest thing in the world. Right. And he says and, you know, before this happens, he says, Dad, I want to be like Michael Phelps. And I go, OK, cool. You know, Michael Phelps seems like cool, safe dude to me. And I'm like, cool. You know, and he's into it. Dad, I want to be an Olympic swimmer one day. Well, you can do it, kid. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Well, now he sees Michael Phelps smoking weed. And maybe he doesn't talk to me about it. Maybe he just sees it or whatever. Or maybe I address it with him. But what I would think would kind of suck is if he's like, I think in his mind, Michael Phelps is just the coolest cat ever. And he wants to be just like Michael Phelps. What if he wants to start smoking weed? Well, this is the perfect time for you as a parent to address that. Yeah, yeah. And you know what? Him as a kid, he's going to go down the path he's going to go down.
You know, you could try to jump in front of them and take all the bullets for them and stop them as much as you want. Keep them in the house, not let them hang out. You can do whatever you want. But let's face it, kids are going to be kids. No doubt. I just my whole thing in it is I'm like, oh, dude, Michael Phelps. I wish you wouldn't have been smoking weed. Rob, I mean, as a parent, though, you try to lead your kid down the right path. Absolutely. And I'm saying this coming up, you can go. This is like a perfect opportunity where maybe it was awkward before. But we don't want it. We don't want it though, right? Like it is. Yeah, but you want to address it. Sure. You can do that when it happens with Lindsay Lohan. You can go, hey, you know, you take the opportunity. Opportunity, sure. I guess the thing that is so disappointing to me being a dad is you just want your kids to see good stuff, you know? I mean, you know bad stuff is going to happen, no doubt about it. But, you know. Like, I wish that Michael Phelps would say, well, he's apologizing. And that's what I was going to say. It's like, you know, he's still apologizing and everyone's recognizing that it's wrong. So you can still tell your kid, you know, he realized he made some mistakes. Same with the DUI. Yeah. You know, it's like he apologized for that. He went through it. You know, everyone recognized it wasn't a good thing. Bottom line is. So your kid's not going to, you know, hopefully not going to want to go out and drink a drive. And if so, you know, that's something you've got to address with your kid.
The bottom line to me is it doesn't matter what it is. Like, it doesn't matter what the job is. Like, you can name any single job to me. You're going to have screw-ups in every single job, including me. Richard Simmons. He could screw up tomorrow. No way, dude. Dude, what if he had a rip in his dolphin shorts? Oh, yeah. You'd be like, Richard, we expect more from you. This is a nightmare. We expect more from you than this. National outrage. Please. 570-1053. Oh, man. P1, Greg, what's your take? Greg, you there? Yeah. Go ahead. What's your take, man? I think Sky would agree with me on this one, but this is just another reason why they should just legalize it, because if it was legal, I mean, Michael Phelps wouldn't be in this predicament. Ah. Hey, if it was legal, the economy wouldn't be where it is. Oh, thank you. Exactly. Hey, now, let me ask. It could cure a lot of problems. What if murder were legal? Yeah, well, thank you. Why don't you legalize that? Then I wouldn't be in any problem. I wouldn't be in this position. Yeah, thanks a lot. Hey, how come they can't make burglary and armed robbery and kidnapping legal, man? And murder. That's different. That's different. That's different. Why is it different?
Well, because those are violent crimes you're naming. You can't compare that to smoking weed. I compare smoking weed to smoking a cigarette. I mean, if cigarettes are legal, please. And Rob's got a great point. Alcohol's worse. Yeah, alcohol's worse, in my opinion. And Rob has a great point. That would bring so much money, so much tax revenue in if he sold weed. Now, I agree with you. I will agree with you on this one. If Rob sold weed. Yes. Hey, Greg. And I'll agree with you on Sky on this one. I do think that there's way worse drugs than weed. I think that alcohol is a gajillion times worse than weed. Yeah, it destroys your body. Oh, for sure. For sure. But check it out, dude. But check it out. I am never down for changing status quo to include more bad. You know what I mean? Even though I think that alcohol is worse than weed, I don't think weed is good. I don't think weed's good. So I'm never for adding more bad. You know what I mean? If I had a chance to do it all over again and alcohol were illegal right now, I wouldn't be for adding it. You know what I mean? I wouldn't be like, let's add it. It's going to kill people.
But weed, it's like you could have a debate back and forth all day about whether or not it's bad. Some people think, no, no. Well, you look at prohibition, man, and when they tried to outlaw it, it just brought on the crime. It's kind of like the war on drugs now. You take weed out of the so-called prohibition that it's in now, and then all of a sudden you eliminate the dealers, the drug-related crimes with it. I don't know. And, dude, I think it was Tootie that was like, you take the good, you take the bad, you know? And there you have. Right? And then you take them both. You take them both. And then you have the facts of life. Yeah, the facts of life. You have to take them both? I never took them both. You didn't? No. Only took the good. What's your problem? And then if there's anybody that can continue the lyrics after that point, then I say hats off to you. It's literally impossible for anybody to know what lyrics come after that part because no one knows. I defy you. I defy you. Okay. 570-1053 is the phone number. People calling because they want to talk about Michael Phelps smoking weed. Yes, John Mayer. Oh, I love it. It's my favorite John Mayer song. I think there is. Let me tell you something, dude. This, of all Jack Johnson albums, this is probably my favorite Jack Johnson album. It's really island-y. It's so island-y, and you just, like, every time you hear it, you just want to have a drink with an umbrella in it. It's pulling your flip-flops. Surfing. That's right, dude. With a monkey. 570-1053 is our number. Is that what he does? No. Yes. Michael Phelps. There's a picture of Michael Phelps. Happy Groundhog Day, by the way. No. Wait. You know what? Thank you. I didn't think anyone was going to say that. I sent one in the mail. You did? Yeah. I did not get it. There's no mail today, right? I don't think so. I think on Groundhog Day, everyone takes the day off. I did the personal cards, you know, where you go out and you take a picture. I did one with me and my Groundhog Day. You did? Yeah. There's my shadow. Yeah. Oh, look at that. It's me and my shadow. So Michael Phelps, this picture of him comes out. He's smoking a bong.
And what do you think? Does this upset you? Does it concern you that this is a guy that is very influential and should not be put to be seen like this? And a man in my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous. Well, that's true. Take the bong out of your mouth. How about that? 570-1053 is the number. P1 Camp. Hey, what's going on, guys? Not too much, dude. How you doing? I'm fine, thanks. I'm fine. Hey, Mikey, earlier you were mentioning you were getting a hypothetical situation where you would say your son's looking up to Michael Phelps as a role model and then Michael Phelps goes and does something like this. Don't you feel that's kind of like a parent's own fault or they run the risk of letting their kid actually look up to someone like a sports figure as a role model? Well, I think you make a good point, dude. I think you make a good point. Maybe what we should be doing is saying to our kids, listen, everybody's going to mess up every once in a while, so you can't like anybody? I don't know. Every kid has sports heroes or some sort of role model that they look up to. It should be your parent, absolutely.
But in addition to that, I had tons of sports heroes. But I think it's a good point to make clear that even though you look up to this person, he's your sports hero, that's great. But remember, everybody is human. And remember, regardless of who they are, what they do for a living, how rich, how famous, how great you think they are, everybody messes up from time to time. You know what? I really like that. I like that if your kid is into somebody, before that person screws up, even has a chance to. You know, as soon as you notice your kid is into somebody, maybe it's a cool idea to be like, that's so cool. Hey, don't forget, that guy's human. That might be cool. I really like that. Did you look up to anybody, Camp? What's that? Did you look up to anybody? Like, I looked up to Rachmaninoff. But, you know, I mean, everybody's different. Who knows? It brought me to tears. Yeah, you know, he's a classical composer. You know, it's kind of a bummer. I did look up to a pitcher on the Baltimore Orioles when I was a kid. I even went so far to write him a letter, and, man, he bursted my bubble. He wrote back to me more or less saying that once baseball stops being fun, quit. And I quit the next season. Really? Oh, man. Wow. Hey, listen, when I was a kid, I wrote to Pete Rose, never heard back from him. Really? No. I wanted to like Pete Rose, never heard back. I looked up to Larry Bird, and the one night I guess you could say met him. Yeah.
He was a D. Really? Dude, my mom used to take me to Celtics games. That sucks. And Outback of the Old Garden, you could wait for all the players to come back. No, not the Outbacks guy. Oh, so good. She started salivating. So good. Oh, my gosh, Sky. And, you know, everyone crowded Larry's car. And I was, you know, I don't know, 10 years old or whatever. And by the time the crowd kind of fizzled out, I got to his... window and he started rolling it up. He said, Larry, Larry, one more autograph. I'm your biggest fan. I just want to meet you. And he stopped rolling up the window and he goes, sorry, kid. That's it for the night. Rolled it up and drove off. And I was heartbroken. He signed yours, Rob. He's got to sign everybody. He already did sign everyone. And that's what it was. Sorry, kid. Sorry, kid. He doesn't. I still love you, Larry. You do? You still love him? Duh. That's what we do, Mike. Come on. That's what we do. P1, Joe is on the line. Joe, are you there? Yeah, what's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Real quick, on Boston Rob's note, I met Larry Burry when I was about 11 years old in the Boston airport, and I walked up to the guy, and I was 10 years old, 11 years old, whatever it was. I said, hey, can I get an autograph? The guy looks at me.
signs a paper, doesn't say a word to me, and tosses it back to me. Didn't even say goodbye. You got your autograph? What you complaining about, dude? I didn't even get mine. I feel your pain there, Rob. I feel your pain, buddy. That is not fun. Kids are going to have these experiences. That's not fun. On the Michael Phelps note, I don't know, Mike, I don't agree with you on this one. What do you think? I think the kid's 23 years old. I think he's going to smoke weed just like everyone else is going to. I mean, we've all done it. We have. Especially Eddie. Eddie did it a lot. Wait a second. Eddie did it a lot. Eddie forced me to. Eddie didn't smoke weed. I didn't have to smoke weed. He didn't have to. But, you know, just so that you know exactly where I'm coming from, Joe, I understand that people make mistakes, and I think everybody's allowed to make mistakes. Dude, I made a billion. What I'm saying is that even as somebody on the radio, especially because I've told everybody my feelings on my faith and stuff like that, if I get popped now for doing something really terrible, it reflects poorly, man. It reflects poorly on the stuff that I've said. I agree. I think where you're coming from as well, earlier you said that you'd wish that...
Your kid can only see good things, and that's a great idea. And in this world, I mean, you've got to be, I mean, right now this world is pretty crappy. Yeah, and I know, man. I know that the world is bad. There's bad stuff out there. I think my point in saying what I said is I wish. That my kid could have a couple of guys that are just good guys, man. Michael Phelps can do whatever he wants. If he wants to smoke weed, he can go smoke weed. But say bye-bye to all your endorsements and all the things that come along with being this sports hero that he was. Hey, I mean, the bottom line is that, hey, Joe, we got a good feeling about LT. We just have a good feeling. And if some video came out and he was doing something terrible. Never happened. It would hurt. You never know. Nobody's perfect. Nobody is. Everyone makes a mistake once in a while. By the way, I want to throw it out there. Any of us have our poor moments, and it's kind of a bummer when it's caught on film. You know what I mean? It's a bummer when the poor moment's caught on film. I think he's a young kid. I think he still is a good role model.
Getting caught smoking weed once is actually going to turn you into this bad guy. And I understand where you're coming from, where you say that kids look up to him. But, I mean, you look out. I mean, my best friend, the guy just can't. He couldn't stop smoking weed through college. And now he's a teacher at a private school. He teaches. He's the only biologist. I'm too much info, dude. Yeah. He's like, his name is Greg Danielson. My point is, it's just weed. As long as he's not going to be doing something else. Of course he's going to make a mistake. Is this Tom Arnold? He's like, yeah, you know what? I'm not my sponsor at this meeting. It's Josh. No, well, listen. I think that it's everybody makes mistakes. And it's all about, well, what do you do after the mistake? How do you handle it afterwards? And that's what I think we've got to focus on here. Yeah, yeah. Everybody makes mistakes. Exactly. And he'll learn from it. Just like before he had his DUI, just like everyone else learns from it. Hey, Joe. Yeah. Joe. You don't feel like, do you? Because maybe I was getting this, maybe I wasn't. But you don't feel like we're supposed to say, eh, everybody does it. Keep smoking your weed. Oh, well, come on. No, no, no, no. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying, I think the media is just going a little overboard on the whole situation. I think that they're looking at Michael Phelps as almost like a god.
And he can't do anything wrong. And now that he has, I think they're just kind of blowing it out of proportion, as the media does. Oh, yeah. That's what they do about everything. You give them a tiny something to latch on to when they're going to, you know. Hey, listen. They did it with us, too. Oh, my gosh. You ran away with my heart. See? Same exact thing as Michael Phelps. Same exact thing. I think they saw Skye in the back of the picture lighting it up. That could be. I saw that in the picture, not to put anything out there, but I did see it with my own two eyes. The bomb says Skye on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, it says Skye's bomb right there. It's actually property of Skye. Property of Skye. Homemade label. P1 Mary. Hello. What do you think? Well, to be honest with you, I think everybody needs to look at it from the perspective. Look, I don't live in a glass house. So I'm not going to be throwing rocks at anybody. I'm a very functional parent. But there are some things that I did in my past that I wouldn't necessarily want to talk with my kids about right now. But they'll come up at some point in time. But you've got to remember, he's 23 years old. That kid has been in training since he was 13. So he doesn't know right from wrong? No, I think he knows right from wrong. But I think everybody needs to remember, thank God we all know right from wrong, but we all make mistakes. It's about grace.
You know, look at how many people. I agree. I agree. But wait a minute. This is what confuses me, though, Mary. I got it. I got to say, listen, when people call and they go, oh, come on, he's 23, blah, blah, blah. I I don't think that we like you don't you can't offer that as like it's OK. It's not OK, but it's just but it's forgivable. Everything's, it's forgivable. Everything's forgivable. Well, and I would say it's kind of, not for everybody, but for a lot of people, typical behavior of somebody in their young 20s to maybe go to a party and smoke a joint or whatever. That's cool. But they're also not Michael Phelps. And that's what I'm saying. Like, he probably got, you know, once he's done swimming, he gets caught up in hanging out with the 20-sums, you know? Gotta be smarter than that. Get pitted, soap in it. Because you're going to lose everything that you work for. You're going to lose all your endorsements, all that stuff. He made a huge mistake. I'm sure he very much regrets it today. Did he regret it at the time? Probably not. Maybe that's why he eats so much. That's it. That's why he was so hungry. But I think what's important is to remember.
That you know what? He got up there and he admitted that he did something wrong. How often does somebody in here... Give him a gold medal. They have a picture of him. He already has nine, Ash. Well... What's he going to do? Deny it? We have plenty of pictures of other people. We have plenty of pictures of political people doing things. How about the guy from Baltimore, the mayor? Total crack dude. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's true. I agree. Get a hold of somebody at Georgetown and talk about Nancy Pelosi's child. You know, let's talk about, I mean, if we're going to start doing that. I'm not saying that what he did was right. Am I disappointed? Absolutely. I have a six and a four-year-old who think that he's a phenomenal athlete. If it's that terrible, take those eight gold medals. But I'll tell you what, America doesn't want to lose those eight gold medals. Oh, I'm not suggesting anybody take any medals, Mary. I'm not suggesting that. They can't. No, no, no. I don't think anybody is. I don't think anybody is. Hey, you want to hear a clip from Michael Phelps? Yeah. Are you there, Mary? Yeah. No, I'm here. Check this out. Here's what Michael Phelps had to say about it. He used to swimming with boat-legged women. What'd he say? Michael? That sounds like a clip from... It's just a clip about him swimming, I guess, but it's so weird. He used to swimming with boat-legged women. Oh, that is weird. Michael, now?
I mean, now? That's super strange. That's such a strange thing to say now. We had a president who didn't inhale. You know, it's not like we're going to hold him accountable. No, let's be honest. I inhaled. I got high, baby. Hold on. I'm going to tell you. No, no, no. Careful. Weed. Please. All right. Thanks for the call, Mary. Dude, phone line's blowing up. People talking about it. P1 St. Louis says, what's up with this being a big deal because he's Michael Phelps, right, St. Louis? Yeah. Well, you see, here's the thing. Now, I agree on your take, Mike, as far as keeping marijuana illegal and all that good jazz. A lot of people have a good point. But exactly what she was saying just a second ago, I want to know why we're holding Michael Phelps to this. And like the commentary said earlier, why aren't we holding Kid Rock to the standard? I mean, they're both considered idols for kids, right? I'll tell you. I'll tell you. I think that there is a difference between LT and Kid Rock. And the reason is because there's an implied wholesomeness in the Olympics. There is a certain purity. Athletics. There's a certain purity to it, you know? And Kid Rock, Kid Rock's image.
Oh, he states it. Yeah, you know, his whole thing is like, this is what I am. Whereas Michael Phelps is like, this is what I'm not. It's supposed to be this clean image, you know? Right, you said the key word, implied. See, Michael Phelps never actually said, I want to be a role model. Well, I never heard of him anyway. I want to be a role model of children. I think I make a good role model of children. And here's the thing is that, you know, a performer, an athlete, and all that good jazz. is exactly what they are, a performer and athlete. If it's illegal and they're going to charge him for it, now I understand if he looks good and everything else and people are looking up and they want to talk about him, but if they're going to try to charge him... We're getting off the point. Nobody's saying anything about... We're getting off the point. Nobody's saying anything about charging him with stuff, St. Louis. Nobody's saying any of that. Nobody said he looks good. Nobody did. Have you seen the grill? Oh, sky. Well, I'm just saying. Sky is close. I'm just saying. Definitely a low, low blow. I'm just saying what we were thinking. That's really not necessary. What was the first clip they were talking about? They were talking about him, what, admitting to guilt for the purpose of what?
Why would he be admitting to guilt? Because he's saying to all those people out there that are disappointed. I think we can agree, St. Louis, that if you're a parent, it's kind of disappointing that this dude that's Mr. Olympic Dude is smoking a bong. He's doing something illegal. Yeah, he's doing something illegal. We could say that that's disappointing. Do we agree on that? No, yeah, I do agree on it. What I'm saying is that it should be the actions that are taken against Michael Phelps. Like, maybe don't let them go for the Olympics next time around. I don't understand. But from what I heard at first, it sounded like they were going to take some sort of legal action. That's what it sounded like. No, they're not. I don't think there's any sort of action that can be taken at this point. They're not, and the reason that they're probably not is they know that's a losing battle. It's a bong, but we don't know what's in it. And all his attorney would have to say is he's smoking tobacco, and it's all over. But he does imply guilt by saying he's sorry. When he says he's sorry, he implies that he was smoking something illegal because you don't apologize for smoking tobacco. Right. And I agree with that, too. All right. St. Louis, we got to move it along. But I appreciate the point, man. And I appreciate what you're saying. Jennifer. Jennifer, are you there? P1 Lynn. P1 Lynn, are you there? P1 Sarah. Hi. What's up?
Hi, I just had a quick question. All you guys were saying that, oh, he's just a 23-year-old and whatever. Personally, I am a 23-year-old, and I'm not sitting here saying that. I'm not doing what he's doing. But at the same time, I feel like if you're going to go into something where you're going to be in the national eye and everyone's going to be looking at you, shouldn't you be smart enough not to take pictures if you're going to be smoking weed? I agree. I agree. Well, I don't think he was posing for the picture. It looks like he was at a party. He wasn't posing for it, but he's holding up the peace sign with a bong in his mouth. He wasn't. However, I think that you do make a good point in that if you are in the public eye, and this is what they tell guys in the NFL, they have a symposium before the season begins where they get all these rookies together to teach them, hey guys, Don't go to parties and smoke bongs. And the reason that you don't do it is because people will take a picture of it. Now, just to be really super clear.
Listen, he made a mistake. We've all made mistakes. It's all good. Football players make mistakes. They all make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. All my point was, what do you do after the mistake? And I think he's done the right thing. He's come out and said, hey, I'm sorry. And I'm sorry for disappointment. The reason why this is a big deal is because Michael Phelps is a big deal. That's right. He was one of the biggest stars and names of 2008. And he was on, you know, whether it's whoever's fault it is, he was on a giant pedestal. And the media does love to knock people off those pedestals. And they're going to make a big deal out of this. And you know what? Hey, what do you guys think about the age thing? I mean, you don't have to be a certain age to make a mistake. And in saying that, you also can't say, well, it's because he's okay. Oh, he's 23. I mean, come on. Come on with that. We all know. I mean, come on. So Jessica Simpson says she put on a couple of pounds, all right? Oh, dude, I for the first time saw the pictures this weekend. You hadn't seen them? Dude, Barack Obama brought it up. No. They were interviewing Barack Obama. I'm serious. I got audio of it. We'll play it next. On the Rock.

We've got the Southbound 5, still very heavy out of Carlsbad from Point City Lane all the way down into Solana Beach. South 15 starting to ease up a little bit with some good-looking speeds. Kind of off and on now, but still tough in the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Some reduced speeds again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. That westbound 56 is also still jammed up pretty good from Camino del Sur heading to the 5 freeway. The West 8 ride is looking all right to La Mesa, but really jammed up to Hotel Circle.
There's some construction work being done on Morena Boulevard. Linda Vista Road is closed at Morena. That's backing up traffic onto the westbound and to the area. And out of the South Bay, you've got a better-looking ride on the 805 especially. But it does still get quite heavy out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52. Made some jalapeno poppers. Me too. Oh, lucky. A friend of mine that I apparently had not cleaned well enough. Oh, no. That was a little bit of a problem. Got the seeds still in there? Dude, I do such. I clean those seeds out. But every once in a while, you're going to catch one. That's the spicy part. And my wife caught one too. There's nothing really to do when your mouth is on fire. No. There's really nothing to do when your back is on fire. Oh. I see what you're doing there. Skye, you know what I'm talking about? That was quite a segue. Because Skye had a really bad sunburn one time. That was quite a segue. She recorded a song all about how... Yes. She went in the studio and recorded this song. Roll up on me one time. Give me some trouble. This is Skye singing. Oh, no. I'm feeling it. I'm going to teach all you kids a lesson that don't know about the danger of a sunburn. It can really hurt you if you're not careful.
Then you might have to call Kaiser. Enough of that. Let's get right to the point. Come on, do it. The sun was blazing. So hot I said, ow. I thought I was burning. You've officially ruined this all. My pill made it worse that day. And I'm still burning. Sing it with me. Now let's do this. That's a deep burn. K.P. We spray. She did. They told her to put it. I thought I was dying. It's a true story. It's a true story. All right. I'm dying. I didn't use lotion. Oh, yeah. I feel I need to call Kaiser. I love you all. Thank you for coming. Lotion in the back. Tip your waitresses and rub on that SPF 45. Make it 455. Holy Toledo, is it hot in here. So, there it is. My back is on fire. Unbelievable.
Well, you know, we premiered that song last week. And, you know, as soon as we were off the air, Sky said to me, wow, Mike, you really seem to get into that one. Oh, no. Yeah. Seems like somebody really enjoyed recording that sucker. Somebody really went for it. Somebody really went for it. Somebody really had a fun time. Skye, do we know what kind of bite you got? No. Sky got these crazy bites on her sides. Yeah. I'm getting a lot of emails with P1s helping to diagnose the problem. Oh, what do we got? There's lots of talk about, no, no Cobras. of brown widows, not black widows, but brown widows, and then also staph infections, a lot of interesting different things where basically everybody's telling me, go to the doctor, get on antibiotics right away. Well, you went to a doctor. Well, he was creepy. He kind of creeps guy out. Yeah, so I will attempt to go to my normal doctor today after the show. That's a good idea. I'll see how that goes. So, okay. Remember I said that even Obama,
kind of made reference to Jessica Simpson's weight. And there was a reason for it. I mean, there was an actual reason for it. The reason he brought it up is because it has something to do with Us Weekly. This is the current issue of Us Weekly. And here's a great picture of you and Michelle and your daughters. The reason I bring this up, I think it's funny. It's a great picture. But I want to show you the cover. Look what they did. They took you off the cover. They cut you out of it. It's a little hurtful. You got replaced by Jessica Simpson. Yeah, who was in a weight battle, apparently. Oh, well. I wonder if that was, you know, I just thought to myself. He says this very offhandedly, and if Jessica Simpson is at a Super Bowl party, because this was in the Super Bowl yesterday. They played this, and she's just trying to escape it. She's eating bonbons. Whatever the appetizer du jour is. Shut up! She's like, come on, y'all.
That had to be a bummer. Well, did you see what People Magazine did? I know you get People, Mike. Yeah, it said she debuts her new look or something. Yeah, like on the cover, they're like, Jessica Simpson debuts her new bod or something. And then inside, the way the article was done was like so weird. It was like Jessica Simpson had said in previous interviews that when she's happy in love, she doesn't care if she gains weight or not. And then so it takes a picture of her from like the Dukes of Hazzard, you know, at her like prime. Right. And then it puts at the bottom. This was when she was very unhappy in her marriage with Nick Lachey. And then another picture of her looking all hot and skinny. This is when she was with John Mayer and things weren't going well. Is that true? Awful. And then her getting plumper and plumper. And then finally, the final one where she's, you know, the one that's going around is like, and now she's happy in love with Tony Rojo. Ashley, what do you call it? You have a name for it. Happy weight. Happy weight. People magazine. We all do it. We all do it. It's happy weight, right? I mean, is that what they're trying to say or are they being mean, you think? No, I think they're trying to cover the Jessica Simpson.
quote-unquote fat story without being jerks. But they want to basically point out the fact that her body has changed. Well, I mean, if she says that, I mean, if she says, listen, when I'm in love, I gain weight. She's honest about it. She's being open about it. She says she gets a little happy weight. I think it's normal. You know, the ladies, if they get happy, they gain a little weight. I think guys do it, too. Like, I don't know that it's just a girl thing. Yeah, we do. You put on a couple pounds, all right? It's a big deal. I'm happy in love. Chewing on pork chops. Yeah, that's right. Chewing pork chops when I get happy. Yeah, is that weird? No, it's fine. I'll tell you what, I ain't mad at it. Oh, hi. I had to with yourself. Kelly Underwood, you look fantastic. Let me tell you something. Yeah. Harry Kane. Hi. I'm so. upset right now. What is going on? What are you upset about? Because why is Jessica getting all the attention? Oh, that's true. I've been eating for a week straight just so I can get the same coverage she's getting. Oh, no. Don't shine me, Jessica. Hey, Carrie. Hey, Carrie.
Guess what I ate last night. What? An ostrich. I'm telling you, those suckers are hard to catch. Yeah, they are. They tasted like chicken. If chicken were covered in poop. Did I mention it was still alive? This is an odd friendship. We're best friends. We're best friends. I love you, Carrie Underwood. I love you too, Carrie Underwood. Oh, my gosh. Carrie Underwood. Yeah, Carrie Underwood. I had a balance with pants just like Jessica Simpson did. Is that right? Yeah, she's wearing those bob pants. Yeah, I sobbed. Well, everybody teased me when I tried to start a new trend with pants last year. That's awful, Carrie Underwood. I found these super cool hip pants. Yeah. And I found them at Baby's R Us. They're called pull-ups. What? They're the coolest pants I ever saw. Carrie Underwood. And I was trying to start a trend. It's a diaper, Carrie. Well, no. But I thought they were cool pants. That's really weird. Stop yelling at me. Carrie Underwood. What hair, Carrie? You're so pretty. Thank you. But so is that Jessica Simpson. I hate her. You know, I bet told her over last week. Yeah. And he thinks she's gorgeous, too. Yeah.
I'm sorry, Karen. I have a healthy appetite, too. You have a healthy appetite? Yeah. What I haven't told you is that back of Phelps and I hang out in my van sometimes and shoot the breeze. Wink, wink. I think I know what you mean. I think you could do the best. I think I know why you have an appetite. I think you could do the best. That is creepy. What the heck? weight problem growing up. I didn't know that, Karen. I did. I weighed 125 pounds an ounce. That doesn't make any sense. Can you believe that? That doesn't make any sense. I felt like a cow. Don't worry, Harry. I got my stomach removed, so I should be fine. That's a good job. I've got five stomachs. That's why I can eat a lot. That's weird. You guys are weird. You guys are weird. What's up? Here you go. Thank you. I got a funny story about me and my grace.
Yeah, by grace, we once ate an entire cow by ourselves. It was crazy. We were starving. Once again, it was still alive. That's so gross. Stop it. Stop it. Hey, let me tell you something. If you don't have money, it's the only reason you wouldn't be dieting because my money's like a hamster on a running wheel. Oh, my gosh. It never slows down. I want shotgun. Why are you screaming? Oh, that sounds pretty good. I like the shotgun. I love it. I love it. I love it. Okay, Harry. Sorry, Harry. Hi. What are you coughing for? Well, I think it's because he's got like spider AIDS. Oh, wait, that's Scott.
I gotta tell you this. I once went on that South Beach diet for a week. That works real good. I flew down to the South Beach of Miami and only drank peanut coladas for seven days. I didn't lose much weight, but I did forget about me being chubby for an entire week. It was fantastic. You should try it. Who's that? Who's talking? Hey, Harry. Yeah, what's that? What? Who? Once I was trying to diet for Tony Romo. Is that right? And I accidentally ate two combo number fives from Jack in the Box on accident. How do you do that on accident? You fall on it and it accidentally ate it. I think that's happened to me once. It happens. I did. I feel pretty scary.
Hey, you're guilty of being hotter than Mia Farrow or Greta Garbo. Who's that? I'm sorry. Hi. I once met out with Betty Davis at J. Edgar Hoover's Super Bowl party. You did? Yeah, I did. Hi. 2009. That's a true story. Look it up. YouTube it. YouTube it. I don't believe in dating, you guys. How come? Well, the only way to really lose weight is this trick that I learned once in rehab. Can I tell you, buddy? I didn't realize. What you do is you take a bunch of X-Lax, then just wait for the pounds to walk away. Oh, my gosh. Really good for it. Harry! I love you. I love you, too, Carrie. You're my best friend. Pass me the remote. I already did, Carrie. You're trying to eat it. Oh, my gosh. I can't eat it. Yeah. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi, Carrie Underwood. What the heck? I forgot to tell you. Hi. I also went on the Atkins diet. Oh, that's not a good one. That was really fun. Yeah, no carbs. I eat bacon five times a day for a month straight. I felt like a Greek god. By the end of the month, I bought myself some pigs so I could eat the bacon easier. I would eat it alive. Okay.

Yes, Mike, I have a gambling problem. No. Sky. I mean, we all know in time. I have three. It's Kings and Leon. I don't know what everybody's so upset about. It's getting all upset. Okay. It's the number one rock song in the country right now. It's probably not as popular as my back is on fire. Nothing is. Nothing is. Nothing can be. See, that's disappointing, right? You hear that instantly. You ruined it because the other one's so good. That's right. That's right. This one's like, eh. That is correct. It is 851. Anybody see the commercial for the new G.I. Joe? Yeah. Yeah, that looked good. Pretty cool, right? Very cool. So did the Transformers movie. Yeah. They both look pretty good, right? There's a lot of movies that they showed yesterday that I thought looked pretty cool. Yeah. Like, dude. The new Da Vinci Code.
And I loved Land of the Lost. Oh, yeah. Like, I loved it. How hysterical that was. That looks hysterical. Yeah, did you see Will Ferrell in the pregame? Uh-uh. Oh, so good. Was it funny? Yeah, he's very funny. His prediction for the game? Yeah, two to nothing. Two to nothing. In double overtime. Yeah. Double overtime. 570-1053 is our phone number. So you can give us a call. And we're working on the text. By the way, Skye's Spider Bites are up. Oh, great. On the website. Go to Mikeyshow.com. Skye was in urgent care this morning early because she has these spider bites. Well, it could be a rattler. We're not sure. We don't know what it is. I think I would have noticed a rattler around my waist. I don't know. If you go to Mikeyshow.com, you can see. Oh, they're so gross. They are staggers. Staggers. Staggers. Staggers. Staggers. It kind of looks like if you were stung by a bee. You think you could have been stung by bees? Like a swarm of bees. And you're allergic? Like the world's biggest bee. Yeah. If the bee was the size of your fist. Yeah. Maybe you were stung by a couple of bees. No, thank you to any of that. Or you were stung by Jerry Seinfeld in Bee Movie. Yeah? Have you ever thought about that? Think about it, guys. I'm thinking about it. Have you ever thought about that? No, I don't want to think about it. Let's see. Yeah.
What about some of this? Now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. There was a big football game yesterday. There was. I'm sure we'll talk about that. But other stuff going on in the sports world. There was another epic battle in the biggest tennis rivalry ever. Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in five sets to win his first Australian Open. Oh, man. Ashley's really into it. I love Federer. Wow. Kenny Perry won the FBR Open after two playoff holes against Charlie Hoffman. Katie Perry, the chick that sings out Kiss Me Song. I said Kenny. I kissed the girl. It was very clear. It was very clear. I said Kenny. Sources are saying Bob Knight is interested in the Georgia head coaching job.
So we may be seeing chairs flying sometime soon. In Georgia. Yes, in Georgia. The NFL Hall of Fame class was named. Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, the late, great Derek Thomas, Randall McDaniel, Bob Hayes, and Ralph Wilson are the 09 class. And then, of course, there was a Super Bowl yesterday. Yes, there was. Super Bowl. Pittsburgh won its sixth Super Bowl title, but it was not easy. It took a last-second touchdown to Santonio Holmes to beat the Cardinals 27-24. I was deflated at that point. I mean, it went from immense happiness to... It was pretty much over then. As soon as they scored that, you knew it was pretty much over. Yeah. There was like 35 seconds left. Cardinals couldn't do it. Sucked. Well, Santonio Holmes was named the game's MVP at nine catches for 131 yards and a touchdown, becoming the third Steeler wide receiver to win a Super Bowl MVP. That's crazy, man. How about that?
Six Super Bowl championships. Wow. The Steelers have? Yeah. That's nuts. Not cool. It was a good game, though. It was a good game. Very good game. It was a great game. And we were talking about this earlier. I thought the commercials were kind of, and I really wished that I had gone and got those 3D glasses because I wanted to watch that stuff in 3D. I want to watch Chuck in 3D tonight, and I don't even watch Chuck. Yeah. Wow. Where do you get them? Pepsi display? I have some at home. You do? Where'd you get them? Pepsi display? 7-Eleven? They came in some... Don't laugh at me. You brought those home with you? What, what, what? I don't know. We got something for that Monsters vs. Aliens thing in the mail. And they had glasses? Snagged the glasses, I guess. They were 3-D glasses. Dude, I wanted... I was just wearing them around the house. If I want to go get my 3-D glasses today, where do I do? I don't know. Probably Vons or 7-Eleven. Yeah. I think they were selling them with the Sobe displays or something. They're probably free. Well, yeah, but like near the Sobe displays. I hope it's good and it doesn't look all stupid. Right. You're going to watch Chuck. He will not. You won't. Of course not. Stop it. Chuck's not that bad. I'll digital video record it. Oh, okay. And then I'll watch it back later because, I mean, tell me that doesn't sound like a good time. A lot of fun. Only fun to me. Okay. You think it'd be good times? Come on. That sounds like a lot of fun.
570-1053 is the number. P1 Chevy. Hey, how you doing? I want to demand Back is on Fire. The song Back is on Fire? We just played it. Yeah, we just played it. 15 minutes ago. I think that's plenty for one day. I'll tell you what, we'll play it before the end of the show. No, we won't. No, we won't. Before the end of the show, we'll play it again. All right, thanks. How do you like that? I don't. You like them apples? I don't care for those apples. You know that schools in Pittsburgh today were... Not going to start until later on. That's so awesome. That is genius. Yeah, public school started two hours late because I guess they figured, well, it's better to have the kids come in two hours late than not come in at all. So they did that. I guess they did the same thing three years ago. I found that a little interesting being that the game wasn't like midnight. It was like 1030 Eastern time that it ended. It's not super late. So what time are they going to let them? Two hours. Oh, wow. Late. Must be nice. They should have the day off. Dude, shouldn't there be a law, like some kind of law passed that we get the day after the Super Bowl off? Absolutely. You say this every year. The city that wins. Absolutely. Everywhere. Shouldn't that be a national holiday? Yeah. Well, you say this every year, Mike. It's never going to happen. Absolutely. It's never going to happen. Maybe Obama will do it. You're darn tootin'. You're darn tootin'. Your guys' thoughts on Jennifer Hudson, national anthem. Fantastic. Yes.
Loved it. Didn't hear it. You didn't hear the national anthem? No. You are not American. I was here at the station doing work and I like jetted home and I got there like 315 so I caught like Faith Hill's performance and then from that point on I was watching. But it was after Faith Hill. It was right after Faith. Then I didn't watch it. Check it out. Tell me what you think. Oh, where was I? This is my favorite part actually. Give me seven. Seven? Really? Now, were you guys waiting for... Yeah. Sounds good to me. You were just fine. I had no idea that that was Faith Hill right before. I was like, oh, is this that Taylor Swift lady? Did you really? Yeah, they're only 40 years difference in age. What do I look like? Boss Gags over here? Like I know everything about music?
If you're a country singer, then let me hear some country in your voice, you know? You want the twang? Yeah. Yeah, she's a country singer. Good heel. Shit. I want her to go good heel. It's the banjo. It's not as interesting to me playing it back. Like when a moment was happening and I was watching it, okay, great. You know, I can't play it back. It's just a moment. Yeah, it's as much as a moment as Bruce Springsteen was not a moment. Oh, dude, thank you. I don't know. What's everyone's feelings? That's terrible. It was awesome. It was terrible. It was entertaining. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Thank you, Sky. It was the worst thing I've ever seen on television. That is a lie. It was the worst thing I've ever seen on television. It's not a lie. It sounded great. The worst thing you've ever seen. I hated it. Every second of it, yes. My 71-year-old mom thought it was the best one ever. Oh, there you go. Well, Esther gets it. Sky, you liked it? I...
I thought it was going to be horrible, and I didn't think it was that bad. Like, it wasn't my favorite. It's not, like, my music. Put down your chicken wings. Put down your M&M's. Put down your dippers. Put down those buffalo wings. The dippers. Sky, first song he plays. Have you ever heard that song in your life? I don't know. The freeze out. Come on. Ah, well, no. Never heard of it in my life. Never heard of it. You guys don't know his name. None of us. This is a very easy one. Hey, can somebody turn the modulation down on the microphone? And tell them that righteousness is not relevant anymore? Yes. Don't tell them. Conan's drummer is drumming. Awesome. Awesome. You know, the dude from the Sopranos is up there on, you know, guitar. Yeah. Dennis Rodman on sax. Dennis Rodman on sax.
Anybody nervous when he was getting up on that piano? Oh, yeah. I thought any second. That would have been great. Yeah. Ash is like, I did, okay? I cranked that sucker. Well, when he did that, like, it startled me. I was like, I'm sorry. I put my pizza down, and I turned my TV all the way up. Like, I didn't know that that was the routine. This is direct order, man. You know? Well, the sound engineering, too, on that. He's the boss. Hello? If you don't do it, you're fired. Okay? I want to know is, is there anybody alive? When I said, yes, we're all alive. Anybody alive out there? I'm dead inside, Bruce. Change that. Yeah, does that count? Change that. Well, you notice that they showed the same girl with the fake boobs. Oh, yeah. You know, they kept going to that shot like 50. Oh, yes, we get it. We get it. 45. Does he have to count down every song? Yes, he does. Hey, you leave that countdown alone. Listen to this. You guys, Sky, Ashley, you guys like this? Oh, I was pumped up. It wasn't bad.
Wow. It was entertaining. I wanted to dance. Maybe it's a broad thing. Yeah, I mean, it was jazzy. I ain't no broad OVE. Like I said. You guys. I was out. And, you know, if we're going to get so huffity-puffity about Janet Jackson. Yes, huffity-puffity. Shouldn't we throw a fit about his crotch coming right at my face? Yeah. Like, that's something, right? But it was moving. It was covered crotch. Hey, P1 Ponce. Hey, how's it going, guys? Good. Did you guys see the careerbuilder.com commercial where they were talking about money? Dude, is that the one where at the very end of it, the black guy drinks the gold? The black guy's drinking the gold. I wonder how much did Sky make for letting them borrow rent? Yes. That's hilarious. Do you remember that, Eddie? No, that's what I don't remember. The guy was drinking the gold. It was like MC Hammer melted down all his gold. That's for gold thing? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. The guy at the very end, he drinks gold and there's like a gold mustache. Yeah. We all thought of Sky. Okay, let's get it out of our systems. We all thought of Sky. I could drink it, I would. And sometimes you. I have a cup full of it now. I'm sipping on gold. I love gold. Gold. Gimme, gimme, gimme.
So anyway, did anybody else have a problem with their sound? Hey, guys. During the Super Bowl. I love money. Anybody? But gold specifically. Can we? Yes. Show me the gold. The gold. The gold. Show me the gold boy. Show me the gold. Please. I'm begging over here. Guess I was the only one. Girls Johnson for some gold. Okay. My kingdom for a gold. Hit me up for a gold. Hey, Kit Kat, go with gold. Just a shot of gold real quick, baby. Yeah. I'll do anything for it. Just one. Just a little taste. I love gold schlagers, but I drain out the alcohol. Who needs the liquid? Give me the gold flakes. Give me the gold schlager. Hold the alcohol. Hold the schlager. Hold the schlager. Oh, no. I hear you laughing. Okay. All right. We get it. Oh, you're the best, huh? You're stupid. P1 Aaron. Hello? What's up? Hi, yeah. Actually, I put money on that halftime show to say that Bruce Springsteen wasn't going to play Born in the USA. Dude, how does he not play Born in the USA? Ridiculous. I mean, I put money on it, and I figured if I lose, at least I still get to hear a good song. It should be easy money. Yeah, and it was...
It was great until, I mean, the buildup was great. You know, the band played well, but then he opened his mouth. Now, you know that people were betting in Vegas. They actually were letting people bet on what songs he would sing and in what order. Yeah, I heard about that on your show, and so I put up a bet with my friends. How much did you bet? Just five bucks. I got it from two people. Yeah. You know, sometimes when... Uh-oh. There's money on the line like that. You can make sure people, you know, sometimes they leave stuff out. They forget. Sometimes certain songs, they forget to play them when there's a lot of money on the line. Hey, Bruce, maybe you can forget your lyrics. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, Bruce, I heard that you don't like playing Born in the USA really live. But I thought it was on the set list. It was live, but it was live. You know, I talked to Bruce. Bruce, why don't you do that Glory Days? That's a good one. Yeah, you should do that Glory Days. Make sure you do it fourth. Last. Yeah, last. Close the show with Glory Days or else the audience won't be entertained. Or else we won't be as happy when we're watching the game without the Glory Days. You know, who knows what'll happen.
You're right by the bay, you're right by the water. That's all we're saying. Enjoy it. That's all we're saying. And a man in my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous. Just remember that when you're playing the set list. Thank you. That's all I'm saying. And then have fun. That sounded like a threat. No. You're mentioning the bay. Oh, no. You play that gory days, it'd be great. Hey. P1 Terry. Yes. What's up? Morning. I wanted to see if anybody else bought this. I thought the most laugh out loud commercial that I saw was the tax return commercial with the three one-eyed people. The tax return with the three one-eyed people. I don't remember that. I don't think that's a Super Bowl commercial. I actually saw that prior to the Super Bowl. I started seeing that on like Friday.
You know, hey, let me tell you, the greatest commercial, the greatest commercial I thought was when the guy comes running and takes a big mallet and he turns it like this and he throws it at the screen and it busts and then they sell Apple computers. You know which one I love? Which one? That wears the beef. That's my favorite. Have you guys seen The Cavemen? Oh, the Geico? Oh, yeah, the Geico. They all look like Geico. You guys are so much better. You're so much better than everyone. We're sorry. We know. I'm sorry. You watch TV all the time. All right, I'm sorry. P1 Whitey. Whitey, are you there? I feel like the eye falling and I can't get up, lady. My favorite commercial. ShamWow. ShamWow. Yeah, that's it. That's a good one. That's a good one. They're going to send you eight. Rodney Allen, Rippy. Ah, so good. I'm sorry. You guys hear about it. Sorry, we're old, Rod. Did you guys know that there's somebody sitting up in a tree in Encinitas right now? I love this. Zeph, get down. I'll tell you about this next. The Mikey Show. Oh, yes. Can I take your order? Large coffee and a Kit Kat candy bar. We don't have Kit Kats. Oh, man.

Well, the ride is still very tough on the westbound 78. There's a jackknife big rig and several cars blocking lanes at Woodland Parkway. Traffic is just at a crawl, barely even moving off that 78, or out to 15, rather, through San Marcos on the west 78. A traffic alert has been issued advising you to avoid if you can, and that's causing curiosity slowing on the eastbound side as well. So be careful if you're heading that direction. We have a new injury crash in the northbound 5 before La Jolla Parkway blocking the fast lane. Watch for brake lights on the approach there as well. And a new accident being reported south 163 at Genesee coming out of Kearney Mesa. Watch for some traffic around that if you're heading that direction. The rest of our freeways are up to speed looking pretty decent except for the 805 northbound. Still a few brake lights up to the 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Can you hear that? San Diego's Rock Mickey Show. With a Mikey moment. Oh, there you go.
Hey, this is President Obama. Wow. I love you. This is good. Barack Obama on the phone. We were just talking about the secrets of the White House. I can help you out with that. Oh, good. Wow. Here's something that you may not have known about the White House. Yeah. Arsenio Hall lives here. No, he doesn't. That is ridiculous. I actually didn't know that. Are you for real? Yes, I am, Eddie. Okay. What does he do there? I think he does what he does normally. He does whoop, whoop, whoop. He lives in a little cabinet under the staircase just like Harry Potter. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. That's right. That would have been great. Yeah. Have a live performance by Steelers Field. Michael Madsen cutting off some dudes here. Well, I don't know about that. That's a show, Mike. That is America. There is a dude sitting in a tree in Encinitas right now. I want to go see him. I want to go visit him. Seth, get down. Seth, get down. It's 9-17.
And, yeah, there's a guy in a tree. For what, Skye? What's his point? Okay, so I guess there's this park that's right next to this condo complex that has ocean views. And I guess there was an agreement when the park was put in that none of the landscaping at the park... would block the ocean views of the condos. Well, the trees have now grown to the point where they are blocking the view. And so per the agreement, what they're going to do is take all the trees out and then plant new little baby trees further away so they keep the view and they replace these beautiful mature trees with young baby trees. Well, they didn't have to compromise. They didn't have to compromise. They didn't have to, but it's cool that they did. They didn't have to do that. The law was that you can't do that, and so they didn't have to compromise. But I think that that's very nice that they did compromise.
Yeah. Well, so on Friday, this guy wasn't liking it, and I guess there were, I think there were 11 trees that were to go. So on Friday, the student, Encinitas, went and perched up in one of the trees, and he's staying up there. Unemployed, right? He's living up there. Yeah, no, that sounds like a guy with a great thing going. Great job. He's really stoked. Is he still up there? At this moment? Well, as of yesterday, I believe he was. So they came in on Friday and cut down all the other 11 trees around him and left the one that he's sitting in. Give me a chainsaw. I got no problems going down there. And he says that the police have been cool. They just come by and check on him and make sure he's okay and say what up. And he said that he's waiting for the mayor to come down and tell him that they're not taking down this tree. Oh, wow. Maybe the mayor will be nice to the mayor, but I don't know. What if no one gives him any attention? We kind of like let this go. We forget about it. We move on. We've got lives. And it's been like six months and he's just still up there. Like no one even. Ash, and you guys, can you imagine how humiliating? No one's there.
And the moment that he decides to come down six months from now, no one's there. Because everyone's forgotten about it. Because nobody can remember. And he's just got to come down. And he's just like, you know, all smelly in the clothes, you know. At night, you can hear him. I'm not coming down. It's like chips. Nobody cares. I'm still up here. I'm really not. I'm saving this tree, man. Hey, dude, nobody's. Nobody's noticing, though. Go ahead. Stay there. You can stay if you want. I'm serious, though. Okay. Fight the man. I'm not. All right. I'm just going to eat this Whopper right here, then. Dude, don't eat the Whopper, bro. But I'm hungry, so. It smells so good. It is good. Oh, man. Really good. Dude. So anyway, have fun up there, and we'll catch you, I guess, next time. I'm just going to leave the other half of my whopper. I'm just going to come down for a second. What's that? I'm going to come down for just a second. A second? Just to get a bite of the whopper. Doesn't that kind of defeat your purpose? Yeah. What were you doing up there anyways? Farting. Okay. See you around. We're just going to go catch up Benjamin Button. A Floyd's on the line.
Floyd, you live near this guy, right? Floyd. Yeah, no, I'm here. I'm here, Mike. Go ahead. Yeah, that park, I mean, the ocean view, we're talking, it's like a mile and a half away from the beach. Yeah. So it's like barely an ocean view. If they trim the trees, it'll probably be okay. But to cut down, I mean, the trees, it's pretty crazy. Well, they're moving them. Hey, listen. I like you. They're not moving them. planting new trees. But didn't they say they were taking the trees out and moving them? No. I can probably be in agreement with this guy of like, oh, come on, what is it? But there's a law about it, so what are you going to do? Well, trim them. No, no, no, I agree. And then everything's fine. It's kind of crazy the guys up on the tree, though. Very Lucadia, even though he's from Oceanside. That's very Lucadia. It is. It is. It's a little Vista, too, but... It's not Vista. It's very Lucadia. Fine. Well, thank you, Floyd. I appreciate it. Very Lucadia. Dude, I want to use that. Well, listen, they're all hippies, you know? You're so Ocean Beach right now. It's a tad Ocean Beach. Yeah, I'll give that to you. It is a tad Ocean Beach. I will give you that. That is OB. It's a little OB.
It is not very El Cajon. Definitely not. I'll be honest with you. Nope. But, Skye, you do not think that they should change the law for this guy, right? Well, no. I mean, if that's what everybody agreed to, I get it. But I would rather them trim the trees first than chop down nice, beautiful, healthy trees. Well, if they agree to it, that's cool. Yeah. As long as they trim it and you can still, and it doesn't violate the agreement. Yeah, I'm down for that. He asked me jerk face, okay? All right. P1Amy. Yes. What's up? Good morning, guys. I have some very exciting news to share with you. All right. Before you do, I just want to say happy Groundhog Day. All right. Happy Groundhog Day right back at you. Thank you very much. Oh, man. Okay, guys. I hope. Well, I know you're sitting down because my husband and I were driving through Santee where we work and they're putting in. I heard about it. In Santee? Sonic. Slap your own face. Get out of here. Quindy just put her hands up in victory. I heard they were going to put one in Vista, but it was going to take about a year. I didn't hear about the Santee one. Where in Santee? It's at the corner of Mission Gorge Road and Magnolia. Oh, wow. Question, question, question. Eddie, ever had a Santee, ever had a Sonic Burger? Many times. Sky, ever had a Sonic Burger? No.
Ashley, Rob? Never. I didn't even think they existed. I am extremely excited. Never had one in my life. I don't know why. In Dallas, you never had one? Really? I don't even. Oh, I used to eat there all the time. We get excited, though, about things that we've never had. I don't want the burger. I want everything else. I actually saw it, and I screamed, and I wanted to call you guys, but it was a Sunday. We had some Sonic stuff come into the studio in Dallas. What did we have? We had the... We were in Dallas? Yeah, we lived in Dallas. We did live in Dallas. They had these fruit rolled tacos. Fruit roll ups? No, fruit rolled tacos. What are you saying? I don't even understand what you're saying. They were delicious. Wait, it's like a dessert? What are we talking about? Well, I remember. And it could be Eddie doesn't know what the word delicious means. Look at this guy. Easy, Ted Allen. I remember. I remember. Delicious. I loved them. You don't remember them. I don't remember them. I don't remember them, but I'll try it, Amy. All right, I'm glad. I'm happy for you guys. It looks good. Thank you. Sonic is good. Happy Groundhog Day. Hey, P1 word heard. First of all, word heard. Happy Groundhog Day. People don't recognize it. All right, happy Groundhog Day, number one. And number two, you are an arborist. Arborist. Oh, Rob. He is.
Yeah, you're an arborist. So what can you tell us about these trees? Well, I don't know what I can tell you about the trees because I haven't seen them. But I can tell you about this guy in the tree. Yeah. We have stuff like this happen on our commercial job. It takes about a week. And you will have a group of protesters joining him in his cause. It'll either dissolve or you're going to see a bunch of hippie protesters out there chaining themselves in trees. Well, they can go right ahead. They can go right ahead and chaining themselves in trees. Fight the man. Yeah, go ahead. That tree's still coming down, sweetheart. Oh, no. Not today at eight. Oh, man. Can we go out there and root on the tremors? Like, you know, can we do that? Yeah. Bring mini chainsaws out there. I mean, they're just doing their jobs, you know? That's all. You know what happens, too, is that the protesters will go and they'll pour sand and sugar in the gas tanks of our chippers and stuff like that. Are you serious? See, that's not right. That's not right. That's not right. That wasn't my idea. Skye was condoning that. I would never. Those people are just doing their job. Skye's holding up a sign right now that says more sugar, less view. It's terrible, Skye. Skye, put it down. Please. I'm begging you to put the sign down. Okay, finally she just put it down. She did. She put it back up. Skye, enough. I don't have a sign. I don't have a sign. Would she eat your dog?
Would you eat your cat? Would you eat your dog or your cat? Yeah, what about coleslaw? That's what I heard. Cold slaw is murder. Thank you. It's cold. Man. It does not smell like that. I guarantee you my dad will call it cold slaw. Danny. Oh, darling. 570-1053 is our phone number if you want to give us a call. Let's see. P1 Steve-O, you there? Yeah, hey, what's up, Mikey? How you doing, bro? Doing good, brother. I was listening to you guys talk about Sonic coming into Santee. I'm originally from Texas, and I had like three Sonics in my hometown. Now, all I have to say is... The cherry line made from Sonic. What about a Cherry's Jubilee? What about a Cherry's Jubilee? A Cherry's Jubilee and that's it. But that's it. Good, too. That's all you can eat. Thank you. Yeah, this guy speaks the truth. Yeah. There it is. Did you watch The Office last night, Mike? No, but I was going to talk about something else and then we'll get to The Office. Okay, well, Jack Buck reminded me of it. Why? He was on. Remember, that was the one when he was coming out. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was so good. Stop it. I'll kick your ass. You dare even start with this. You know it wasn't good. It was a waste of his time. Mike, the waste of wonderful celebrity guests. It was a waste, Mike. It was a waste. Jack Black was so funny. Oh, my gosh. Oh, no. Was he doing all his Jack Black stuff? So much, Mike. No, he wasn't. Mike, he's lying to you. What about Cloris Leachman? She was hysterical. It was so gross, Mike. It was so gross. Talk to me. Talk to me. These people are freaking out. So Andy is showing Pam and Jim how to illegally download movies from the internet. And there's this new movie out where Jack Black and Jessica Alba are like a couple. And then Jack Black leaves Jessica Alba for her grandmother, Cloris Leachman. And it's a love story between Cloris Leachman and Jack Black. Come on. What do you think of that so far, Mike? It's lame. Okay. Why are they having to do... Why don't they just use people appropriately? Yeah. Like, you have them at your disposal. You have Jack Black at your disposal. Come on. And you're going to have him do a 10-second love story with Cloris Leachman. A 10-second make-out scene? Oh, come on. It's funny. Eddie, you do not think it was funny. It was not. You're lying when you say that.
Shut up and listen to my order. Thank you. Jack, you're better than that, bro. So much better. You're better than that. Maybe he thinks he's not. He is. He did the part that was given to him. It wasn't his fault. Couldn't they give him something that made sense? He did. He was downloading a movie. Don't you get it? Hello? Oh, you are something. What a waste. It was an hour long. It was all right. Yeah, there was some parts I really thought were funny and some parts that were not funny. What was the deal with the roast? Stanley had a heart attack and it came out that Michael was the cause of his and the entire office's stress. So to get all that out, Michael decided to have a roast in his own honor. Yes. Everybody roasts him and it's like really funny. And then in typical Michael doesn't really get it fashion. He decides he's going to roast people. I just had some thoughts that I wanted to share with you people. What? Well, I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget. Jim, you're 6'11", and you weigh 90 pounds. Gumby has a better body than you. Boom. Roasted. White, you're a kiss-ass. Boom. Roasted. Pam, you failed art school. Boom. Roasted. That's personal. You slept with so many guys, you're starting to look like one. Boom. Roasted. Kevin.
I can't decide between a fat joke and a dumb joke. Boom, roasted. Your breast stinks. Boom, roasted. Angela, where's Angela? Well, there you are. I didn't see you behind that grain of rice. Boom, roasted. Boom, roasted. You're roasted. Awesome. I just found out. Somebody just sent me an email saying that if you want to watch Chuck tonight in 3D, go to 7-Eleven. Oh, there you go. They have the 3D glasses. Mike. Why? I mean, you guys, you've never seen the show before. I know, but I like 3D. Am I, like, I'm getting the feeling I'm really out. Yes, please say that. I'm out on a limb here. 3D doesn't seem kind of fun. If it's something that I, like, a movie or something I've never seen before or, like, you know, a show that I'm into. Did I mention that I don't get out much? You didn't need to mention it. Maybe that's, uh. Maybe that's part of it. I want to go see that movie, Monsters with the 3D. You do not want to go see that. Who are you? Well, I want to see it because it's 3D. You hate cartoons. We don't think 3D is cool around this joint. Who are you? 3D is cool. Stuff's like jumping out at you. Am I new to this? Apparently. I haven't seen 3D since I was a kid, man.
Ew. You talk to me. Oh, now he's angry. Now he's angry. Last night. Oh, now he's angry. Last night when there was a 3D commercial zone, you telling me you people didn't want to see that in 3D? And you weren't thinking to yourselves, I wish I had those stupid glasses right now. I'm not 12. I didn't care. You're a bunch of filthy liars. Filthy liars. The Mikey Show. That's the ultimate hang zone. All right. Rock. Geico. But don't worry, you'll get more chances because this message will repeat every day at the same time. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Mikey Show, hello. Hi. Hi. I was calling about Sleep Train. Go ahead. What are you saying? What are you calling to say? Dude, Sleep Train? I went in there with my fiance about three weeks ago. We're not getting married for like five and a half weeks. I mean, sorry, five and a half months. And they're holding it for us for five and a half months before we get married. That's rad. Yeah, so, and I haven't heard anybody talk about that, so. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, it was way awesome. And on top of that, we got like, I think it was like a thousand bucks off the deal because we found one on the internet. It was like pretty crazy.
That's awesome, dude. Just go into a sleep train center. Anybody should go into a sleep train center if they're looking to buy a new bed. That's fantastic. Thank you for the call. Yeah, no problem. Bye. You know how I feel now about the 3D. Who doesn't think 3D is cool? Everybody, okay? How dare you do think it's cool? I have the glasses at my house. See? I was ready for fun. Dude, if we all had a... How dare you look at me like that? Like, if I had them sitting next to me, I'd be like, okay, I'll put them on. But I'm not going to go out of my way to go to 7-Eleven. I'm not going to record a show that I never watched. The last 3D thing I saw was Jaws 3 3D.
Me too. That's the last 3D thing I've seen. You didn't have to bring that up. Okay, well, I'm just saying. You know how hurtful that was. I'm just saying, you know. I got left there three times, so we'll have to watch it. It happens, guy. Doesn't happen, okay? We're talking about... It's a good movie. It's 937. We're talking about... Rob just brought up Man vs. Wild. Man vs. Wild? That's what he said, bro. I am so confused. Sorry. I was just checking. It's called Man vs. Wild. Sorry. I was just really confused. Man vs. Wild. What? Are you guys in front of me? I can't tell. So Rob's talking about Man vs. Wild. Thank you. And he was really freaked out when Bear Grylls in this recent new episode climbed into a glacier and there was like blue all around him. Into a glacier. And you never know when blue can reach out and blue all over you.
It's not the blue part. He climbs down into it, and you don't know if he's, like, going to come back, like, find a way out or if he's going to have to climb up. Is he going to leave him down there? Yeah. I don't know. Like, it wouldn't have made the news if he, like, died in there? I was wondering that. I'm like, can they have, like, an episode where he just gets rescued? Dude, I was saying, like, I've been a little, not disappointed. I haven't been disappointed, but I've just been, like, I've wanted more danger. in his stuff. He might be running out of stuff. That's what I was thinking. Or like places to go. I was thinking he may have eaten and you know what else? It could be a deal where he's like, you know, the show's popular. I don't have to keep eating things. I've made enough money. You know, seriously. The guy eats everything. I like when he fishes. I do too. I really enjoy that and I want to do that. Can I ask you guys? Did you see when he made a spear and speared some fish at night. I've seen a couple of spears. Was it the trident spear? Yes. He made it. I was like, I don't know, man. You can do it. He's holding a stick. He's holding a stick. He made himself a torch and he's out there at night looking for fish and he happens to get one. You know where the fish are.
Eddie, dude. What do you mean? I believe that he did it. I love when he's been making the torches. I've always wanted to learn how to make it. Resin. Resin. You need resin. I know. P1 Frank. Old man's beard. Frank, you there? What? It's the type of tree, Sky. My bad. You know nothing. Nacho lowers. Sky, if you want to see a picture of Sky, if you want to see a picture of Sky's bites. She's got like, we're assuming spider bites. Yeah, like nobody is believing that these are spider bites. I think they're anacondas. Because there's like one on each side. Bite. Bite. She's got a bite on one hip, bite on the other hip. We have pictures of it up on the site. She had to go to urgent care. What is it? I don't know. What are the people saying? A lot of brown widow, a lot of talk about ticks. Ew, you have tics? No. They latch on. I had a tic when I was a kid. But I can see the actual puncture marks. Still do. He's right here. He's in the middle. Let me take a look. Come here. Turn the lights on. Let me inspect you. Touch it with your lips. Somebody's got to numb it. Somebody's got to numb it. Numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb. Yeah, numb it first. Numb it, Mike. Numb it, Mike.
Can you guys grow the heck up? I mean, grow up like two years for crying out loud. Give it CPR! Yeah! It's a lot better, actually. Oh, easy, Mike. Are you still talking about the bites? Grow up two years over here, will you? What is that, dude? I don't know, Mike. It's the worst. Gave her some stomach cramps. Oh. Yeah. Dizziness and sweating. Went to a Mexican restaurant this weekend. My wife orders a side of rice. No, she didn't. I'm serious. Well, she knows the story. I know. And like we're supposed to just sit there when she does that. Please. Come on. Quite a weekend. Can't even say side of rice at my house. I know it. No one can. P1 Brandon.
Hey, guys, what's going on? What's up, dude? Not much. Have you heard about the new show tonight on Discovery Channel called No Way Out? Mm-mm. Saw it last week. Wait, what? It's basically an escape artist, and he's being put in certain situations, and he's got to escape out of it. Like, the commercial that they show at the end of it is he's handcuffed, and they put a scorpion in his mouth, and then they duct tape his mouth. And so he has to get out of the handcuffs, get the scorpion out without getting busy. You didn't watch it last week, bro? No, I did not. No. So it's like a magician? Yeah, he's like an escape artist, like this guy says, and he gets put in, like, crazy situations. Yeah. Like, they handcuffed him and put him under a sheet of ice and in, like, ice water, and he had to, like, escape. I could not watch that. Stuff like that. Yeah, his dad's a part of the show, too, and his dad's the guy who, like, handcuffs him and ties him up. Cold seems worse than hot to me. Yeah, that cold water. Are you sure, Mike? Because I swear there was one time. There was one time. You hate hot. You weren't there, okay? I'm telling you, it was really bad. I heard about it. You scream like A.O.
You guys, it was like 150 degrees. It was like 89 degrees. That is so stupid. First of all, it was way hotter. It was like a blustery 76. It was. I'm not exaggerating. It was at least 100 degrees outside. It was 100 degrees outside. Probably more. Probably more like 103. Inside the car, at least 40 degrees warmer than that. We get in the car and Sean thinks it would be funny to turn the heater on full blast. It was funny. It was not funny. Really hurt. It hurt. It hurt my flesh. It's boiling off of me. Boiling off of me. P1 pest control. Oh, no. Was it about my spider bite? It was. He was going to say it was bed bugs. But I was outside in the garden. Don't people tell you not to let those bite before you get in bed? Could have been like one of them, not the no-seams, but like a sand flea or something.
And you just have an allergic reaction. I'm convinced it's something that isn't deadly, but the allergic reaction to it. That most people get it and it doesn't bug them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But for whatever reason, she's very allergic. I've been watching this mystery diagnosis. I've never had an allergic reaction. I know, and that's the mystery. I'm not a TV show, bro. I'm a human. I'm going to figure this out for you. No, you're not. Hey, check this out. Skye, you can maybe give us the details on this, but apparently there was a study that was just done. Mike. What I'm about to tell you is real. Okay. This is not made up. And it says. Proof. Proof about you. The study says that women smell like onions. This is true. Shut up. And what do guys smell like, Mike? Cheese. Oh, Chetty. I will accept that. If you accept that you smell like onions. I do not smell like onions. You reek of onions. I do not. You reek of onions. I ate onions once, and ever since, you tell me I reek like onions. You smell like them constantly. I do not. Constantly. Let me ask you. Well, your name is Cheddar. I'm fine with that. I accept it. I accept it. I accept it. Can I ask you guys a question? Yeah, super sharp Cheddar. Can I ask you guys a question? What? Which, if you had to smell like one?
Which would you smell like? Can you pick the cheese? Can you pick the cheese? Can you pick the cheese? Oh, can you pick the cheese? Because there's some flavors of cheese that aren't bad. Yeah. There's some that are stinkier than others. Some that doesn't smell so good. No, no, no. Excuse me. Tell me a cheese that smells good. Brie. Cheddar smells good to me. Cheddar smells good to you when you pick up a piece of cheddar cheese and you smell it. But when you think of it about your body smelling that way, you want a Ralph. No, I want to lick myself. I would love to have my body smell like nachos. That'd be awesome. Dude, you do not. I will not. You do not want that. You do not. I want my body to smell like nachos. Nachos smell good. If it's on tortilla chips, but you don't want to think of your body smelling that way. Onion soup smells great, but who wants to think of their body smelling that way? But I'd still take that over cheese. Cheese is disgusting. Onions is pungent. I don't know. I'd smell like French onion. Yeah, French onion is delish. I would rather smell like an onion than cheese. That's a French onion. To smell cheesy is sick. Oh, so good.
I prefer it. Yuck. I use Axe cheese spray. He does. He has Axe. It's nacho flavor. Skye, what is this study? Well, they sampled the armpit sweat of 25 of a group of men and women. And I guess either they had spent time in the sauna or 15 minutes on an exercise bike. What about the jacuzzi club? But I mean, that has nothing to do with what we're talking about. Well, it could be part of the study. I don't know. Well, I have the details. I think I would have mentioned it if it was part of the study. So no, the sauna or on an exercise bike. And then they took samples from under the armpit and they basically found that the chemical in the armpit is like similar to the same thing of the smell of onion for the women. And then with the men, it's similar to the enzyme produced by cheeses. That's so gross. So weird. I'm smelling bad yogurt right now. Yuck. Rob, what do you smell? Peanut Noir. Is that what you're smelling? Thank you. A little peanut Noir. I use that as deodorant. 5701053. What's up, Dustin? Hey, Mikey. What's up? I think we need to make Ashley smell like nachos for a day and see if she really likes it. I like it.
That's really weird. I think that you're actually trying to fulfill some kind of weird fantasy, bro. I think you should just kind of let that one go, dude. I think Ashley needs to go down to the local Little League field and just take a nacho bath. Yeah, I kind of like it. Oh, wow. We'll talk to her after the show and pressure her. Totally. Thank you. Yeah. Sky. What? P1 Creepy Sleepy is on the line. What do you got? Creep Sleepy. Is that... Are you there? Yes, I'm there. You want to talk about Skye's spider bites? Yeah, absolutely. I'm kind of concerned. Are any of the bites kind of like in a line? In a line? Yeah, almost separated by like an inch, like two, three, four of them. Well, let me tell you, I just saw them, and on one of them, on one of her bites, you see like a mark where there was like a bite. You see like two little marks, like almost like little fangs, you know, like right next to each other. So it is in a line with a little bit in between it, yeah. Yeah. Another, this may sound kind of strange, but does your bedroom smell kind of sweet? Well, I definitely know it happened outside. You better believe it, baby. I'll say it does. Yeah. I'll tell you something. Thank you. Because I was out in the backyard gardening, and I felt it immediately, and it immediately started to swell. Okay, because it sounds to me like you've got bedbugs. I do not have bedbugs. How dare you? How dare you?
Call me a bed buggy person. I'm rich. Yes, buddy. And they almost look identical to a tick bite, too. That's why the doctors might think that. What kind of sweet smell and why would it smell sweet? I'm curious. I don't know. I watch a lot of weird shows. Yeah, that's why I like Sean so much. Too soon, bro. Too soon. We have to nuke them now. Maybe that's what you do, Sky. Just go in there with those little bombs, those little, you know, bug bombs. Bed bomb. Yeah, bed bomb. I'm not putting chemicals in my house. Police. We have to nuke them. We have to nuke them now. I'm okay with the chemicals. No, I'm not going to let off bug bombs in my bedroom where I sleep. I got rid of them. P1 termite finder. Finder. Termite finder, yes, sir. What's up? Hey, contact the county entomologist. The guy was talking about bed bugs. That's totally wrong. I mean, he described them right, but she doesn't have bed bugs. Contact the county, San Diego County entomologist, and describe the bites to them.
I would have to know how to spell entomologist. Or pronounce it. Or know what it means. Shut up. Any of these things would be good. I am not contacting the county. I think the city council has their head up their butt. Thank you. Thank you. I'll look into that. And entomology to you, too. Shut up. Thank you very much. Well, it's... Okay, stop making fun of me. I need to talk. I'm on the radio. Will you please... County orthodontist. Contact him right away. He did not say orthodontist. This is the seventh orthodontist I've talked to, and none of them will reason with me. Help! Are you done? County amputitalist. Are you done now? Are you done? I just looked up anthropologist for the fourth time. It's not working. Somebody help me. Please. Sky, back to you. Back to you.

Got this song. It was so good. And I heard it when we were at UFC in Vegas. They were playing it in there. It's a fitty song. Is it not, like, is it available? Is it out? Can you get it on iTunes? I don't know. It's so catchy. But I prefer the other versions so much more. Candy Shop? No. Yeah, yeah. Take me to the Candy Shop. You like the other versions better? Because they basically remixed that Trains in Plains song by MIA, and preferably I like the remix. by Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I., and Jay-Z. It's called Swag Like Us, and it is sick. And I think it's way better than the 50-cent version. What about MIA? Do we have that? I'm sure we do. Oh, that's on the T.I.C.D. If you're talking about that remix. I got that. FYI, it's on T.I. Yep. ABC. Yep. Which TV? Planes and trains or trains and planes? One of the two.

She found it for me. It's so good. She even liked it enough to where she has it. We don't have it. Here, bring that CD in here. Maybe I can play it in here.
Maybe I'll try it. You're sure there's no cuss words, right? Because I'm not. Oh. Oh, my. You always want to put cuss words on there. All the time. Scandalous, bro. I didn't notice any. You didn't? Uh-uh. No. Hey, that sounds safe to me. No, I won't play. I won't play. I'll tell you this. Ashley put some songs on there that I thought I needed a shower after I heard them. I felt assaulted after I heard some of the songs she put on there. She's like that. She burnt a CD with 11 songs. And some of them, my jaw dropped open. I was like. I had no idea that this was on songs. That Eminem song, the lyrics, I'm like, are you kidding? Are you serious? I love that song. No. No, it's not that song. There's a clear crack in bottles. Peaches and Steel. Peaches and Steel. Hey, Michelle.
What's up, Michelle? Hi. Hi. I'm a cosmetologist, and in beauty school they told us that all white people smell like mayonnaise. Really? Really. That is a scientific fact. This guy smells like mayonnaise. He does. And onions. Smothered in onions. She smells like onions smothered in mayonnaise. And white people sauce. Am I the only white person in this room? Yeah. Pretty much. Thank you. Sucks to be the minority, don't it? Wow. That's right. Jagger and Christy. Yeah. What does that mean? You know, right between the lines. Thank you. Because their wife... Finally, somebody... Snip, snip, snip. ...had the rocks enough to stand up and say something about it. It's weird to say Jagger and Christy. Yes. Okay. Well... Wow, I feel dumb. I thought it was a soft... That's the bites talking.
And a lady in Italy is filing a lawsuit claiming that the curious case of Benjamin Button was her story and it was stolen. Wait a minute. She wrote the story. She wrote it. A lady in Italy or a lady with an Italian accent. I'm a curious button. Yeah. Yeah. That's what the story was called when I wrote it. It was called the button. He has a curious case. But when you translate it, right? Yeah, you know. But originally it was, hey, Benjamin, I have a curious case. Hey, my button is so curious. What's up with your case? Originally called my button. He's curious. Hey, Benjamin, why are your butt so curious? The character's name is Benjamin Button. It's not a guy named Benjamin who has a butt. Hey, Benjamin Button, why are your case so curious? Stop being so curious about your butt. No, button is so curious, eh? I'm tired of you being so curious about my butt.
Look at this guy. He's so curious. So how does she even say that it's hers? What did she do? Well, she said she wrote a short story that's basically that story back in 1994. She had it copyrighted in Italy and then sent it over to U.S. publishers to see if they'd be interested in publishing it. They couldn't read it. It was all in Italian. And never heard back. So she has filed a lawsuit. They're looking into it to see if she has a claim. Of course, the people who... It's three guys in a piazza putting their glasses on their nose to read. Yeah, it looks like the same story to me. I think this is it, eh? Yeah, yeah. You win the lawsuit. It's the same movie. Oh, they're looking into it. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. 5701053. Hey, Benjamin. Why are you so jealous? Hey, Benjamin. Hey. Hey, Brad Button. What's up with you? Brad Button, by the way. That's what you got. Yeah. All right. Oh, man.
570-1053. Too much, I tell you. Carol Owens has a reality show coming out. What? No way. For what? That's just taking advantage of a guy that's not right. He's not okay. And check this out. It's going to be on VH1. Ah, yeah. Flavor of crazy. So the series still doesn't have a title yet, and they say it'll follow T.O. around during the off-season and his best friends and publicists. They haven't announced a start date, but it should be this summer. Keep the sleeping pills away. Seriously. Poor guy. P1 Proto Mom. Hi, how's it going? Good, how you doing? Good. I went by to see the guy in the tree. Yeah. Oh, you did? Oh, you're the best. No way. You're the best. And? Well, you know, it's not that big of a thing, seriously. They haven't really cut down all the trees. It's up on Orpheus and Encinitas. It's just, you know, it's right across the street, actually. They're not, I can't, it blows my mind how people think, you know, that it's taken away their view of the ocean. Well.
It's like the condos that they're talking about are built to the side of the park. And the park is like next to them. And they're like two story places. Check that out. Like you do have a story there. If in fact the trees are blocking the view and it's written in the agreement that the trees can't. By the way, for those of you that are just tuning in and you don't know what we're talking about. There's a guy sitting up in a tree in Encinitas right now. And the reason he's sitting up there is because apparently. The city put in some trees in this park, and there's an agreement that says if those trees ever block the view, they have to be removed. Is that right, Skye? Yeah. Okay, well, they said they're blocking the view, so they're out there, and they're cutting them down. And this guy is like, you're not cutting down these trees, and he jumped up in the trees, going to stay there until the mayor comes and tells him he won't cut it down. Right. But if what this lady's saying is correct, like, what if it doesn't block the view, and they just decided that they wanted to... You know what I mean? So I guess that's the question. Does it actually block the view? You say no, Proto Mom. Sure, it might block the view of some of the residents, but they're two-story condos, and they're to the right. Like, if you're looking towards the ocean, they're to the right of the park. And they're not like big pine trees or anything or big oak trees. They're just, like, very light.
you know, light trees. I can't explain it any other way. They're not very big. I know what you mean. They're not very dense. Cut it down. They're like diet trees. Yeah, they're light. They're less filling. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But they still taste great. They still taste great. Well, thank you, Proto Mom. You should have rolled your window down and said, get out of the tree, you. Throw your shoe at them. No. Yeah. Leave them alone. If you want to go by there and see them in the tree. So what if the guy threw a shoe at me? Yeah. Yeah, and they haven't really taken any of the trees down. They've marked the trees. How's he eating up there? How's he eating? Acorns? I don't know. I was on my way down south, and I just stopped by, and I didn't get out of the car. Can I make you a lasagna? You want a lasagna in there? All right. Thank you for calling, Proto Mom. Okay. Talk to you later. There she is. There's a guy on the phone that says he's got an inside scoop on Tree Man. Can we call him that? Officially? He's Tree Man. P1 Marshall. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? What can you tell me about Tree Man? I was there when I first started. I was there when they were cutting down the trees. And this guy, he's kind of a kook. He got up there the night before. He's a homeless guy. What were you doing there? I was just driving around. And I saw all the commotion going on. Wait a minute. What kind of commotion? What do you mean commotion?
Well, the guy there, he was calling the media while he was up in the tree. He was waiting. You know, the deputy showed up, and he was waiting for the media. No, but what kind of commotion was going on? Oh, just people like, oh, I can't believe this guy is up in the tree. There was just people standing there going, oh, I can't believe it. There was probably like a crowd gathering. A crowd when he walked up in the tree. All the cameras started coming out, so then he brought out his guitar. Did you say he was a homeless guy? He's a homeless guy out of Oceanside. He was actually wearing a mask over his face. You couldn't see his face. If you look at the early pictures in the video, he didn't want to know who he was. He gave his name as Drew, as J-R-U, spelled J-R-U. Eventually, I guess his name came out, but at first, it was just a little odd. All right. You're not even from Encinitas. What are you doing here? I think P149 has got kind of a similar story, right? P149? P149, how are you, Mike? Good. Great. You know that tree he's sitting in? One, I agree, I understand. If it's in the paperwork and it's in writing, oh, well. That actually is a Puerto Rican pepper. Oh, hello. Puerto Rican pepper. The Puerto Rican pepper is not a native tree of the United States.
What had happened, Hollywood, we can think for that, back when they were on a tight budget making the Tarzan movies were red hot. Instead of flying the whole cast of Puerto Rican jungles, they brought that Puerto Rican pepper to L.A. And then it ended up in Encinitas? Yes. If you sneeze. Wait, I got a question here. Wait, wait. What about if you sneeze? They'll grow. Okay. Thank you for the call. Question. Mike. I love him. This just happened. I love him too. If that, like... What is this, a new tree? It just grew last week? Somebody sneezed, apparently. He went back in the old days when Hollywood was making Tarzanite. That's why I'm saying, like, when did they make this agreement that if it obstructed the view? Well, he's saying that that brought the tree to the United States, to California. He's not saying that's exactly when that tree was planted. What, are you his spokesperson? Yes, I speak for P149-er. My point I'm making is, let's say this law that they had came up two years ago. Right. That tree was already there.
Who says? Did it just grow overnight? It's been there for years, Skye. It's been there for years, this tree. Yeah, from my understanding, they created the law when they agreed to plant the trees. Okay. Okay. Oh. Okay. Got it. Got it. Well, you've got to take it down. If it's in the way, you've got to take it down. But it makes you sneeze. That's the law. The law says you've got to take it out of there. And you sneeze. Hall of Famer P1 Sanjaya's on the line, and he's got a theory about Skye's spider bite. Right, Sanjaya? Sorry. Wait, wait, wait. Sorry. Now we can hear you. Go ahead, Sanjaya. Okay, so this looks way all too familiar. This exact same thing happened to a person on Unsolved Mysteries. What happened? They were abducted by aliens. Wait a minute. Skye has these bites on her side. You're saying that the same thing happened, right? Yeah, but they're not bites. They were like poking her with needles, taking samples of her. Skye, is it possible that you could have been abducted by aliens that were probing you? Yes, Skye. They walked in there my way.
They washed my memory. They abducted me instantaneously and put me back without me knowing I lost any time. They're aliens, bro. That's what they do. They froze the whole world while they took me to... Why are you acting like this is so crazy? Yeah, we want to know. We want to know. Are you really Sky? Let me go check. How are you going to know? Does she smell like onions? If she smells like onions, then it's the real Sky. It's Sky. It's Sky. You guys, it's Sky. You guys, we just figured out it's Sky. Reeks of onions. Hallelujah. Thank you. My eyes are watering. 570-1053. 570-1053 is our number. That was late. 570-1053 is our phone number at the beginning and end of every show. We do an open phone segment. Will you shut up? You're really getting on her last nerve there, buddy. Please, I'm not feeling well. Back off, broseph. I feel stupid. If you want to see pictures of Sky's spider bite. Skyder bites. Skyder bites. Skyder bites. Skyder bites. No.
If you want to see Skye's Skyter Bites, go to MikeyShow.com. You guys, don't add on to this. You just said it. You're the one that said Skyter Bites. Yeah, but that's just what they're called until we find out. Until we find out. I'm telling you, I'm going to help you after the show. I've been watching a lot of mystery diagnosis. No way. Let's see. Have we ruled out a puff adder? No, we haven't. I think we can safely rule it. I think safely we can. I think that it would have been, you know, and there's one on each thigh. Really big. Yeah, that's true. Has anybody heard that? I started. What's up? I just want to tell Eddie that a friend of mine's girlfriend worked at the Cowboys corporate office was saying that Mike Shanahan was in there this morning with just a couple hours ago. Really? It's going to be probably, that's what they're saying now, it's probably going to be interviewing for the Cowboys job. Do you know who that works there? She just works in the, she's like just an intern or something like that. An intern for the Cowboys? Yeah. And how do you know her? She's my friend's girlfriend. I believe you may be lying. Why? Why would you say that, Mike? Because he was like stumbling when I asked him. He was like, ah, ah.
Some people get nervous. I believe him. I believe him. Are you telling the truth? Are you telling me the truth? Mike Shanahan is going to be the Cowboys next coach. Okay. And then Mike will apologize to you. Well, I heard him here first. I'll be calling Mike. Yeah, you call back. I believe you, young man. Well, maybe he said it because he just read it on FoxSports.com. Look it up. It's nowhere else. Yeah, look it up. I'm looking right as we speak. Yeah, maybe. It's nowhere, Mike. All right. I believe now that your information is credible. Too little, too late. Way to go. Thank you very much. P1 Wisdom Tooth. Hey, how's it going? Good. What's up? Not too much. I just wanted to say that Curious Case of Benjamin Button was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the same author of Great... You don't know nothing, okay? You tell me a fifth shot Fitzgerald, okay? I do a shot of a Fitzgerald. I wrote it. I wrote it at a piazza.
You don't know about this. You don't know. I love a curious case of buttons. Yes. Originally called the story, oh, look at you, Benjamin, you curious. And then I say, no, that one went out. And I said, that one don't work. And then I wrote again, and I said, oh, my goodness, Benjamin, you curious, no? This is some button you have, you curious Benjamin. I said, look at your button, eh? It's good. Yeah, no? Thank you for the call. P1 Philly's Finest is on the line, and he wants to talk about Groundhog Day. What's up? P-H-I to the L-O-Y in the hizzy. Yes, that's right. There he is. So, Bill saw his shadow, and it looks like Skye's not going to need the good sunscreen because we've got six more weeks of winter. Great. Yeah, according to a groundhog. Okay, now, what does that mean? Okay, I have a question. Oh, no. Does that mean that six more weeks from now? Yeah. So we're supposed to have winter for six more. Well, I thought it could be a thing where, well, everybody knows that, you know, winter ends on the 15th of February, so it's six weeks after that. But it's six weeks from today, right? Okay. Six weeks from today, in fact. Dude, all I know is it don't feel like winter.
No way. That doesn't apply to us. It doesn't apply, right? Because we live in paradise. It's completely irrelevant to the state of California. This is for people from like Philly. People that live where there are actual seasons. I hate nice weather. I love to freeze my butt off. Well, I will let everybody know and all my East Coast family members that they got six more. Thank you very much, Philly's Finest. You're welcome. Appreciate it, brother. Happy Groundhog's Day. If you'd like to make a call, please hang up. You should. Her and I got in a fight. She's kind of mean sometimes. She is. Ladies and gentlemen, P1AO is on the line. What's up? What's happening? What's happening? What's up? All right. Hey, guys. You want Ayo's on the line? Ayo! Hey, what's up? What's up? Hey, man. Just like a tire trying to find a wheel. What's up, Ayo?
Oh, man, nothing but gas prices again. Oh, there it is. There it is, ladies and gentlemen. The A.O. we know and love. He's like, I don't actually have anything to say. I just have all of these little, you know, quips. Hey, man, but anywho. Come on, A.O., what do you got? What's going down? My blood pressure. What up? Oh, really? What's up, my brie? I'll call it ever again. No! We love you! Don't say that! Gangster. I don't mean it. I haven't heard nobody say anything about the Jason Statham commercial with the Audi A6 Super Bowl. Dude, dude, dude. That was a cool commercial. The best ever. Dude, that was awesome. You're a girl. You don't get it. That was awesome. I love those transporter movies, but that was like, oh, great, you drive a different car in every era. That was kind of cool. I'd rather watch transporter. That was... Really? Dude. Will you not call me Spider Bites? Is that your new name? Hey, calm down, Tonto. Taco? Taco? Tonto. Tonto, Tonto. Hey, Ayo, thank you, dude. That was a killer commercial, man. Thank you, brother.
P1 Hammett the hell. What's up? Good morning, Mike. And I miss Sean. Thank you. We do too. Too soon. I just wanted to follow up for the tooth fairy thing that you guys were talking about last week. What my parents would do is they would tell us to put our tooth in a glass of water on the dresser. And I thought that was the coolest thing. We'd wake up and there'd be change in the water. Oh, that's kind of cute. Makes so much sense, really, from trying to wake the kid up, you know. Mm-hmm. Fantastic. Thank you, brother. I like it. What if you drink the water? Well, I think you... Scary. Bye, guys. Thank you, man. Yippee! Okay, Eddie. P1 J-Bunks. What's going on, Mike? What's up, J-Bunks? What's going on, dude? Did you guys hear what happened in Arizona? No? Yeah. What, what, what? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
And it was like straight porn? Oh, yeah. Like you were seeing bits and pieces. No way. Right on the screen in Arizona. No way. Now, was that on NFL Network in Arizona or like NBC's broadcast? During the Super Bowl. Get out. Yeah. No. $6 million, $6 million BJ. Oh, dude. Whoa. That is crazy. Yeah. Hey, brother, thanks for the call. Thanks for the call. Hey, tomorrow on the show, got a great show for you tomorrow. Make sure you're tuning in. We're going to be finding out about some whacked-out dream that apparently Sky had that I want to hear about. She's not telling us yet, so even I don't know what it is. But be tuning in for that tomorrow. We're also going to break down Joe Torre's audio because Joe Torre is talking about why he said all the stuff that he said about Alex Rodriguez. Wow. So we'll hear all that audio, and it's going to be a great show. Make sure you're here for it. Lovely and talented Missy's up next today on her show.
On the Nooners, she's got double shots, so make sure you tune in. And Mike shows up. Love your mouth.
