With you, it is The Mikey Show, 601-570-1053 is the number. It's just after 6 o'clock if your little alarm clock is going off right now and you're just waking up. It is, what day is it, Tuesday? I don't know. It feels a little later in the week to me. It does. Wouldn't it be cool if us as a radio station just played a warm sound effect the entire time and then people would be like, oh, I set it for the radio. It was the alarm sound. That would be awesome. Fooled you. Fooled you. Any of you guys ever used one of those sound effects machines to wake up? Those sound effects alarms and you wake up to rain? It's supposed to be like soothing wake-ups. I don't like that. It's not supposed to jar you awake. I don't like waking up to an alarm, man. I hate it. So do I. So my mind wakes me up two minutes before so I don't have to deal with it. I wake up to Neil Diamond. You do? Sweet Caroline. Every morning? Yeah, because my phone, you know, you can download songs on your phone or whatever. I can pick, like, ringers that I've downloaded for alarms. Oh, so it's not your alarm clock, it's your phone? Oh, yeah, I use my phone for my alarm clock. So does my wife. My wife has a bunch of, she has her phone make a billion different noises, and they're all, stop it. And none of them get her attention.
Well, that's not good. You got to change that. See, I got, like, three of them, and they, like, they grab your attention, you know? Like, right off the bat. I got, for my text messaging, it's cadence to arms, which is, you know, that Irish, like, bagpipe kind of thing. Do not. I actually don't know that. I do not either. If you heard it. No, I don't. Eddie, I think if we heard it, we wouldn't know it. I still don't know what he's talking about. You just did it. I don't know it. What is he saying? You need to know. There's five people on the Mikey show. So weird. Thank you. I'm Mikey. I'm the host. Hi, Mike. How are you doing? I'm the oldest. 38. I know it. Missing some facial hair today, I see. I see. Right out of the gate. Mom, why does he do this? Why does he do this? People are allowed to do what they want. care for that. I shaved off my mustache. And I just got the bottom of the good tea. It's fine. It's, you know, boy, I'll tell you what. What I'd like to do is just go to a clean, shaven face. Do it, Mike. I'm thinking about it. What's holding you back? The fact that I have a shaved head.
I don't want people to think, you know, are you sick? Is something wrong? Now that you put that in my head, shave off your eyebrows too. Listen, I'm not saying, I mean, I mean that when I say it. I mean it for real. You know, I'm like. What do you got, that powder disease? Well, listen, it isn't that there's anything wrong with it, but I, you know, I certainly don't want to have to console people every time they see me. I don't know. You know, you think that they would not? Could be really nice though. It works. I might enjoy it. A lot of hugs. Yeah. Free hugs. All right. So I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 38. Eddie is our producer. He's our sports guy. He's 35. And then there's Sky. She's our news girl. There's Ashley. She does our assistant producing. And she also does a lot of off-the-air stuff. And then Boston Rob is our stunt guy. Now, I don't always do the introductions, but I like to give them to you every once in a while so you know who we are. Because there's, you know, five of us. There used to be seven and then the economy. So thank you. Definitely appreciate that. Denny's is going to be handing out free Grand Slams today. There's going to be lines around the block. Yes. Now, I want to know, and I don't know if you know the answer to this guy. Probably this is a difficult one. But I want to know, when did this become a public?
knowledge thing. When did we become knowledgeable of this? I heard about it yesterday afternoon. It was during the Super Bowl, actually. They were running commercials saying that they were doing this free Grand Slam breakfast from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, but it's dine-in only. You have to go to Denny's. You have to eat there, and like Eddie said, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. You show up at 2 a.m. in the afternoon, you're not getting your free Grand Slam. Grand Slam tastes good. What if you're there before two but seated at 201? I don't know. They may cut off the line at a certain point. So when you go in, they'll give you a coupon booklet with coupons to hopefully get you to come back. The whole deal is to reintroduce you to Denny's Breakfast and get you to come back. And you're also, this morning, if you get the free Grand Slam, you can slam it up by adding two additional items for just 99 cents. I want to slam it up. Yeah, I'll slam it up. Dude, isn't a slam already got like 50 things on it? Who cares? I want more. It's two eggs, two pancakes, two sausage, and two bacon. Who's going to add to that? Me. I want ham. Obviously, Skye. Right? Biscuits, Skye. It's side orders or entire entres? I don't know. Slam it up. They say two additional items. I'd assume it's side orders. No. Hashbrowns? Can I order hashbrowns? I bet you probably could. Oh, yeah. That's intense, sir.
But again, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Toast? Mike, do you like toast? Dine-in only. So there you go. It's going to be a madhouse at Denny's today. Let's just go. And tip your waitresses. Out the door. Yeah, as you're leaving, tip your waitresses. Yeah. Ham is just the beginning. Sounds delicious. It's just in. 570-1053. That's the phone number. Call us up and say hello. How long would you be willing to wait in line for a free Grand Slam? A long time. Give me, I want to figure. What's it worth to you, bro? Can we talk to it? Can I ask questions? I guess you can. Am I alone or do I have a companion? I think you have a friend with you. All right. I am willing to wait. It's funny that you put the alone thing in there. Well, if I'm by myself, I'm just miserable. Yeah, it's boring. It's boring. You're just standing. You know what I mean? Yeah, you shouldn't. Plus, I hate. eating by myself at a restaurant. I do not like that. Do not like that. But I am willing to wait one hour and one half hour. So an hour and a half is what I would be willing to wait with a companion. With a friend. Wow. And I think that part of it is the nostalgia factor. I'd like to be able to look back 10 years from now and say I was there the day that they were giving out the free Grand Slams and I enjoyed one myself. Yeah, that's...
Longer than I'd wait. It was really fantastic. How long would you do, Skye? I think I'd only wait a half hour. Really? I'm not a good waiter. I wouldn't even wait that long. You wouldn't, Eddie? No. 20 minutes tops. Really? Tops. It depends. If the 99 cents thing was not just side orders and it was additional entrees, like you got two more entrees for 99 cents. You're not going to get two more entrees. Come on. Hey, I'm a big dreamer. But I'd wait a couple hours. Just a hamburger? Like, what are you going to... They got good stuff there. You know, he'd take it all to go. Oh, yeah. Take it home. How about you, Ashley? How long would you wait? I wouldn't. I think the Grand Slam's a deal to begin with. So, yeah, and my patients, like, I don't have any. So you're like, hey, listen, I'm not paying much for it anyway. What's the point? Yeah, I'll go back on Wednesday and pay for it. I'd have them give me one of them pages, and I'd just go walk around for an hour. I don't think Denny's does. I don't think they do. They don't? I don't think so. People and Kyle? Yeah. What's up? What's going on? What's up, dude? Uh, not much. I was just, uh, calling to say, like, I was going to stop by to get some breakfast at Denny's because he's playing hooky, going snowboarding, but, uh, drove by Denny's and the line goes all the way around the corner and up into the street. Whoa. What Denny's? What location? Uh, Santee. Let me tell you, dude. Whoa. What a time. I think people will end up waiting a lot longer. Oh, yeah.
than what I said. Make a day of it. I agree. Are they going to make any money today? Yeah, I think that ultimately they may... Well, I don't know that they make... Who's going to go there and not order the Grand Slant? They won't make money today. Yeah. But they will make money, I think, in the future. I think that this will pay off. Yeah, I agree. Yeah, I think it'll pay off. It's only like 610 and it's all the way out the door. That's crazy. I think it's a pretty good idea. Yeah. Thanks, Kyle. Oh, no problem, man. P1 Barack Obama's on the line. Oh, good. That's right. I'm P1 Barack Obama. Where's my stimulus? I'm good, Mr. Obama. How are you doing today? Just fine, Mike. Just fine. First of all, it's an honor. I wanted to say it's an honor. Well, thank you. Thank you. I appreciate that. I appreciate that very much. Are you going to, Mr. Obama, are you going to go to, are you going to go to Denny's today? Oh, you betcha. I'm already waiting in line right now. Are you going? Good. Secret Service around there, or what do we got? Oh, yes, I got my Secret Service right here on my left-hand side. That's good. Are you going to slam it up? Oh, yeah. 99 cents, I'm going to slam it up. I'm going to slam it up with Costco ham. Oh, that doesn't even make sense. Ham flavor all the way from tip to prong. That's right. Well, let me ask you, Mr. Obama, how long are you willing to wait to get your Grand Slam?
I will be willing to wait about three hours. That's a long time. You really are just like everybody else. You really are. You really are. You can really relate. Well, thank you, Mr. Obama. You guys take care. That's the President of the United States. You really are changing. You really are. Wow. Or even he'll just call in randomly and say hello. I love it. P1 Shaniqua. Hey, how are you, Mikey? I'm good. How you doing? Good. I'm just talking about or thinking about breakfast. And I would wait up to maybe an hour, hour and a half if and only if my best friend, Mary Jane, was involved. Let me tell you, we would be hot boxing in the car. And then by the time my meal, you know, my hour and a half's up, before you know it, I got the munchies. I'm ready to grub. I'll maybe just say, you know what, my grandma's on her way. I might even order two grand slams to say my grandma's in the bathroom. She's saying if her kids are not there? Her grandma. Oh, her grandma. I thought she said her gremlins. She might lie and say, oh, my grandma's on the way in order two. She'd be so hungry. I gotcha. All right. That's P1 hotboxing with grandma right there. You're so silly. P1 Rick. Hey.
I was just wondering, you know, I haven't heard from Ramsey's in a while. Has Sky lay him off? I don't know. You would have to ask Sky that. No, I didn't. I never would. That's good. I never would lay Ramsey off. Ramsey is my white manservant. Oh, but you cuts my food. I barely cut your food. At least Ramsey. Oh, no, please. I'm starving. Unbelievable. First of all, you bring it up in the air. How embarrassing. How embarrassing. I want my grand slams. I heard you started charging him. I did not start. See, rumors. I started that one. You started. Slams it up. Stop it. Quit saying. What did you say, Ramsey? Slams it up. Slam it up. Try again. Slams it up. I'll take you, Ramsey. Ramsey. He takes me? Oh, yeah. Well, I don't know. Miss Skye over there don't look too happy with that. All right. Let's all calm down. Looks like she's polishing her whip. I'm polishing it, by the way. Because people polish whips. Yes. I don't know what you do in your spare time, you weirdo. She greases it up. You know, my whip's not working. Oh, no. Too bad it's for you. I keep laughing. How about that? Oh, really? How funny? How funny is it now? How funny? Oh, really?
So funny now that I've got it in my hands. Oh, really, oh, really, oh, really. Dance, dance, dance. Did you say Barack? Did you say Barack? Wait a minute. I didn't say Barack. I thought you said. Who said? Wait a minute. Oh, my goodness. Oh, no. What's the matter with you? Ramsey, since you brought it up, I have had to cut back some of your meals. I realize that. You realize it. That's what I said. No, you didn't. You pluralized it. It's singular. And the deal is that the reason that we've had to cut back a little on your chitlins is because there has been a slowdown in the economy. Therefore, I cannot purchase as much as I used to from the butcher. Let's be honest. I never purchased it. It was always free. It was scratch. But anyway. Ramsey, that is a wonderful, wonderful new sweater you have on. Where did you get this? At L.L. Bean. I found it in the garbage. You did not find it in the garbage. I helped him. Oh, really, Rob? Oh, no. You want the whip? I don't want it. You deserve it. Take your little homeless pal and go on back home now, Ramsey. He's as hungry as me. He's right.
That's his right. That's the use do-a-do. It's catchy. I know. It grows on you. It really does. It grows on you. 570-1053 is our number if you want to give us a call. P1 Katie has been anxiously awaiting to get on the air. Hi, Katie. Hello. How are you this morning? I'm good. Are you over at Denny's? I am across the street from it right now. And which one is it? Point Loma. Where are you from? I'm from Georgia, actually. Sweet. And so you're out in front of the Point Loma Denny's, and is there a giant line? Yes, there is. You're going to go over there? No, I would. I wish I would have done this last night after the Motley Crue show, because I would have been all over it. Is there a Motley Crue show last night? Yeah. Sports arena? Oh, nice. Saints of Los Angeles store? What? Hey, who opened for them? Who opened for them, Katie? Hinder? I got there when Hinder was playing. Hinder. But...
Theory of a Dead Man was also there, and the Las Vegas. Hey, does that Hinder sound any good live? Hinder sounded amazing live. I am surprised that I have a voice this morning. There you go. All right, Katie, thanks for calling. Thank you so much. Have a good day. You too. P1RCP, what's up? Hey, good morning, guys. Listen, I thought you guys might like to know the Richard Cheese concert was Saturday night down at the House of Blues. Oh, yeah? I think it was like the second or third song, and he gave you guys a shout-out. Oh, that's nice. That's cool. What? Yeah. He actually pulled me up on stage because I had just as great an outfit as he did. So it was a lot of fun. So, yeah, it was really cool. That's cool. Good dude. All right. Good dude. Thank you. Take it easy. 570-1053 is our number. So there's a new scam, apparently, that is targeting Facebook and MySpace. Yeah, this is not cool. What is it? So they find a way to get your password. And they get your password and your login and they get into your account. And once they're in your account, what they do is they then send a message to all of your friends.
saying that because of the economy, you've kind of really hit a rough patch and you feel really bad asking, but you're really in need of some money right now. So if you could send, I don't know if they do like a PayPal account or send a check to this address or whatever, but they basically scam your friends for money and your friends trust it because the message is coming from your Facebook or your MySpace. So they don't question it because you're their friend. You are asking for help. Now, do they have... I'm guessing that what they would do is have people send it to maybe a P.O. box or something like that. Yeah, it doesn't specifically say whether, you know, it's a PayPal account or I don't know. I get that message from Rob like every week. Well, no, I think that one is real. I've been sending him the money, but I know it's his address, you know. It's actually his address. I've been asking for, you know, cash when I come into the studio. That's right. I appreciate it. Yeah, so they say the best ways to protect yourself is to change your password often. Yeah. And also when you go in. into your account uh check your sent messages just to make sure that there's no sent messages in there that you haven't sent yeah and then if you get one of these requests right now i haven't been online in so long if you get one of these requests from your friends call them follow it up with a phone call before you actually send any money out yeah so do we know uh how they're getting our password
There's easy ways to reset it. You say you forgot it. I don't know how, but it's happened to me eight times. That's what happened with the Twitter thing. What's happened to you eight times? People have reset my password, went into my account, and sent a bunch of people spam stuff. I've gotten messages from people saying, hey, someone reset your password and broke into your account. I've had to change my password. On MySpace? Yeah, that happened to me once on MySpace. That's like a year ago. And MySpace writes you and says somebody broke into your account? No, your friends do. Yeah, friends will. They'll be like, hey, I got this thing and I know you wouldn't send this to me, so somebody must have got it in your account. Because lots of times it'll be like a mass thing. They'll get into a lot of accounts and then they'll send like the same ad. So if somebody receives this ad, they go, oh, this is part of the so-and-so scam. I'm totally confused and you guys will have to walk me through this, but how do they get our password? So you know how if you forget your password, there's a place where you can go to request your password or to reset your password? Somehow they do funny business with that. So they can access it and get your password through that. That's how that Twitter thing went down when Twitter got hacked and they did the Barack Obama fake messages and all that stuff. Same kind of thing. It's with the application that allows you to request or reset your password.
They somehow hack into that. The same thing happened with the fluffernutter, which is a new thing that I do. Fluffernutter? Yeah. It's brand new. What is fluffernutter? It's brand new. Yeah, you guys don't know what it is yet. You guys actually totally missed the whole joke. You totally missed it. I don't want to totally miss it. Completely. I'll just move back and you move forward. Well, here's what I see. You're my favorite. When I go to reset, when I click on, you know, forget your password, it wants you to enter your email. Yeah. So if my email on one of my accounts is my work email, think how many people have my, you know. Your work email. My work email or Rob's work email. I mean, you know, it's posted on our website. Right. And anyone can get our email address. Yeah. And so you can do that basically with any email address. Yeah, if you find out the email address, you go for it. See, now I don't use that one for my deal. Yeah, you're fancy. So if they, but can somebody open up one with that? Like if you know it, like let's say you know that somebody's email, like you see somebody's email posted somewhere, can they open an account with that?
Well, if you haven't already, yeah. Remember, I didn't want to go on MySpace for the longest time and a P1 set up a MySpace account with my email address because I hadn't already set one up yet. But they would have to check the email. You know what I mean? Like they could set it up with whatever email account. Oh, yeah. It would come to me. It would come to me. And that's what was happening to me. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I got like 100 MySpace friend requests. And I'm like, I'm not even on MySpace. What is this? The best thing to do, though, is you set up like with MySpace accounts, you set up like a phantom email. So you just go on to Yahoo, get a whatever random one they assign. Right. And then that way, when it does send you stuff, and you just basically use that to get into MySpace. Got it. And then after that, it's just basically a throwaway email that you never use again. P1 Mike? Yeah. What's going on? Not so much, man. Just listening to the show on the radio. And I've had that happen to me before. It's called Phish. It's called Phish. A friend of mine said, hey, you got Phish on your MySpace. You need to change your password.
And they sent a bunch of spam junk email out, different stupid emails like pornography and stuff like that. It's not cool at all. Huh. That's interesting. Yeah. All right, dude. All right, man. Thanks, brother. Take care. Rock on. Appreciate it. Let's see. Let's take one more call on it. P1 Autumn. Hi, Mikey. I had the MySpace thing happen to me, and because of them sending out all the messages, I didn't realize I still had this one girl on MySpace as a friend, and it sent a message to her, and she became all stalker-like. It was very creepy. What? So do you know, must have sent a mean message to her. She got mad and thought it was you. No, they didn't send a mean message. They just sent out, like, a mass message to, like, all of my friends saying, hey, you know, I found this really cool site. You know, you should visit my site at blah, blah, blah. You know, something, some spam letter. And then she became all like, oh, my God, she's talking to me again. And it was not cool. Now, let me ask you, did somebody get your password by doing that thing, you know, where they reset your password? Yes, yes. But like Rob said, wouldn't that...
Like, for instance, like, wouldn't the email come to you to say you've reset your password? That's what I thought. I don't know if maybe they have, like, I'm not a hacker or anything, so I don't know how to get around that. Yeah, they have, like, they do something. It's not just that. There's other ways. I remember how it happened to me is I think I clicked on a comment. Yeah. On one of my comment things on MySpace. Yeah. And that somehow gave. Somebody access to my account. Well, yeah. And there was another thing going around. I'm sorry. Wait, wait, wait. Katie, what? Go ahead. Go ahead. You called my real name. That's so weird. There's a guy on line five who can explain it. And I've seen it, too. Like, you'll be sent a link. And then the link will make you re-log in to MySpace. Exactly. And it will get your password. They will create a fake page that looks exactly like the MySpace login page. And so you log in a second time. Yeah, Brandon knows. And it's really them. Brandon? What's going on, Mike? How you doing? Was it just explained? Yeah, you guys explained it perfectly. Like when you click on a friend request or, you know, someone says about that spam email and you click on it, it'll redirect you back and says you have to log back into MySpace. So you'll put in your email and your password again, and that's their fake page, and that's how they get it. Yep. Yeah. Okay.
There's a bunch of different scams out there. So that's an important thing to watch for. If you ever click on something and it says you have to re-log back in, be careful of that. Don't do it. Shut your computer off. Take a sledgehammer to it. If you're still logged in, you'll go to your homepage. If you're not, then you know that you have to re-log in. Got it. I don't know, man. I think I'm going to start. The other thing that I think you could do to maybe be diligent is... not to accept people as friends that you don't know. Yeah, that's where it gets tricky too. Gets a little tricky there. I never accept, like I check every friend that I... That I approve. Yeah. Not me. I accept everybody. Yeah. I'm a whore. So do I. And I want to. I want to. I want to accept everybody, but I'm just afraid of getting scammed. It's really, like, for me, I just check the page really quick. I'll just check it out and make sure that, like, there's relevant comments. Like, you can tell it's a real person because there's so many friend requests I get that are spam pages. And if you accept them, then they're in your account. And you're done for. Rob.
It's just side business. There's all kinds of people calling in now from the Denny's, man. Hey, Anton. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? You're at the Denny's where? Mira Mesa. Mira Mesa. Is it crazy out there? Dude, the line is out the door and around the building. Wow. Yeah, if you're just tuning in, Denny's says that they're going to give out free Grand Slams, dine-in only. Until 2 p.m. today. Get the hibachi going, some tunes. Well, why would you cook if you're going in to eat? Yeah, you know, have a tailgate, man. Just go bring some sandwiches, hang out. I don't go tailgate outside of restaurants. Oh, that's the best. That's your problem. That is the best. Put on some free bird. Okay. So there it is. There's some other. There's some other big news out there, too. Wait until later. Oh, my gosh. I'm going to play you this audio of Christian Bale flipping out. Really? Yeah, dude. He seems so calm. I think I had heard, too, that Christian Bale was a little difficult to work with. Didn't he beat up his mom and his sister, too? Yeah, allegedly. He beat up his mom and his sister? You don't remember that whole story when Dark Knight came out? Yeah, it was right after the release of Dark Knight. Did it happen in London? Yes.
Exactly. He got arrested because he got into some skirmish with his mom and sister. Oh, wow. Not to mention, he kept beating up the Joker in that one documentary. No, that wasn't a documentary. Actually, that was a police motion picture. Yeah, but the Joker was a bad guy, so I didn't feel that bad. Definitely. Sometimes. That's how you look at it. Well, when you hear this audio, you're going to freak out. Really? Yeah, dude. Well, first of all, it's all bleeped, and it had to be. No. Because he, and what he's, it's so trippy, man. He's freaking out on the director of photography of the movie. Oh, I love behind-the-scenes stuff. So, like, they filmed him freaking out on the set? Yeah, and you know what's tricky about it, dude? When I went to preview the clip, I'm thinking to myself, this is probably going to be poor audio, way in the background, that kind of deal. And when I played it back, I was like, he must have been right, you know, standing right. Just a second. Just a second of this. Oh, come on. Oops, oops, oops. Excuse me. You know that means he didn't have very many friends on the set. You know, if this kind of stuff is getting out there. Well, and that was the thing. Like, I think that that's kind of the wrap on Christian Bale. Hang on a second. Let's see. What are you doing, Mike? I want to hear it. I want to hear it. Why won't Mike let us hear some of it? All right. Just a smidge. Take your f***ing ass. I want you off the f***ing set, you f***ing.
No, don't just be sorry. Think for one second. He's going off. He's going off. That sounded like a roll. And it's the, again, the director of photography, he walked on the set, he messed up the scene. He's like, you know, while they're shooting, he walked on the set. Hey, listen, things happen. Why couldn't he use that voice for Batman? Yes. Instead of this. That is a great question. Don't ask him that, though. That is a great question. I want you off the set. Hey, got to let everybody know. At 50 minutes after every hour, we're going to be doing the sports third. 50 minutes after every hour, you know you're going to be getting the sports. And it's not. First of all, Eddie's going to give you the top stories and everything. But he's also going to give you whatever sort of the controversial sports story of the day is. And there's one every single day.
And we're also doing the Mikey Show 360 now. So we're kind of catching you up on everything that's hot, everything that's going on out there. And that Christian Bale is one of them. The other big deal is this Miley Cyrus being under fire for racially insensitive pictures. What? Have you guys heard about this? No. Miley Cyrus is coming under fire for... She should stay away from technology. I'm telling you, bro. So dumb. This story of the octuplets mom. What's up with this octuplets mom? I don't understand her. I don't understand her. There's some weird stuff with that. Your phone call is 570-1053. Hey, P1 History Teacher is on the line. And I want to hear what P1 History Teacher has to say. Are you there? Yep, I'm here. Yeah, what were you going to say about people getting your accounts? Yeah, I was going to mention that a lot of places will ask you for like a security question and that my school has really been trying to get kids to know that you shouldn't be putting a question on there that anybody can find through MySpace or just by knowing them. Like you shouldn't put what's your favorite color because if someone knows that, they can put it in and they get your password. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a very, that's a good point. That's a good point. Real quickly, P1 Jerry, are you there?
You know somebody that has been admitted to the hospital. You want to ask listeners to be praying and giving them good thoughts? What happened? Got it, got it. And can we get her name? Just her first name. What is it? I'm having to cut out. Did you say Andy or Candy or what? Andy. Andy. Her name is Andy. All right. Hey, Jared, we're on it, brother. Thank you. You got until 2 o'clock today to get yourself a free Grand Slam at Denny's. What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Now, this only is in effect until 2 o'clock this afternoon. So, until 2 o'clock today, Denny's Grand Slam, here, here, here. And then they give you coupons because they want to get you back, right? That's what I want. Yep.
Listen to this. Sportster in about 20 minutes. And this octuplets mom, now she's asking for some cash. Hang on. Wait till I tell you why the octuplets mom is asking for cash. Octopolis, this lady that has eight, she just had eight kids, but wait, Skye, she had like six before, right? Yeah, she has a total of 14 children now. Oh, boy. And lives with her mom and dad. Yeah. Single. Single? Yeah. We'll tell you why she's asking for cash next. Idiots, think of the technological level that this world operates on. How many of us really understand that? If everybody out there died and we had to take over the world, how well do you think we do? Yeah, terrific. We would do awesome. Good morning, family. This is the Mikey Show.

We've got a couple of tough spots out here right now. If you're traveling northbound 5 out of the South Bay, once you come up toward that 15 connector, you're going to find heavy brake lights here. Continuing up the Coronado Bridge, there's an accident block in the right lane just as you get onto the bridge there, and that's why you're seeing that major backup. And then even just getting past that, you're going to find the heavy backup on the bridge itself. getting onto the islands. You might want to give yourself some extra time if you're heading that direction. In the east county, the eastbound Lemongrove Avenue off-ramp from East 94 remains shut down. There was an earlier brush fire there. They're investigating that, and that should remain closed for the next several hours, they say, so keep that in mind. Heading south to 15, you've got that usual backup out of Escondido off to 78 down to Villarancho Parkway. Reservoir freeways are up to speed, looking pretty good here for you. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. Hey, I just want to let you know that... Sleep Train is the place for you right now. You've heard me talk about Sleep Train in terms of the savings. I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Yes. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, right? Concords. I think they're finally coming out with a new season. Are they really? Yeah, HBO. It is 640. I don't know if I've mentioned this, but Tyrone and Tortilla may be making a stop by to the radio program at some time today. You know, you never know.
You just never know. The octuplets. This is the lady that had eight kids. And Skye's filling me in, even though I know I've heard this, but she's filling me in. I'm hearing it as if I've heard it for the first time because it's so crazy. The stuff about the octuplets lady. Yeah, dude. So what's the deal, Skye? First of all, she was taking fertility drugs to have the kids? Well, basically, so here's the deal. So this chick has octuplets. It's the second set of octuplets in the United States ever born. Huge media story. Everybody's like, oh my gosh, we want no more, we want no more. Well, the family wasn't releasing any information. They wanted to keep their privacy. And so they wouldn't specifically say whether there were fertility drugs or what went on. Well, a couple days after the baby's birth, the media got really, they started to pressure and follow around and find neighbors and then family members who were finally willing to talk to them. And so the mother, the grandmother of the octuplets, decided to speak out and voice her mind on her daughter and these new eight babies. Well, the daughter, never been married. All of her children, now 14, she already had six children at home under the age of, I believe, eight years old.
prior to having the octaplets, all 14 of her children were conceived by in vitro fertilization using a sperm donor. How old is she? She is 33 years old. Why? Why? Why? The mother says that she has something wrong with, I believe, her fallopian tubes. So she can't conceive naturally, but she can carry a baby to term. And since she was a teenager, has been obsessed with having babies and becoming a mother. So the grandmother is convinced that if she didn't have problems reproducing... The grandmother meaning this 33-year-old woman's mom. Mother, yeah. um would be convinced that she would have been having babies ever since she was a teenager but she said you know luckily she couldn't have babies the normal way and so once she was of age to go through in vitro fertilization she's been doing that and she now has 14 children no father lives with the parents and the parents the mom slash grandma is like i've had enough i am i'm over this really get her out
And I guess the reason... Is she okay up in the attic? Doesn't sound like it. Clearly not. Why would the grandmother support her having the eight babies up until now and now she's out? It's so confusing when we say the grandmother because it makes me think that it's the lady that had the baby's grandmother. But we're really we're talking about her mom. Yeah, her mom, the grandmother of the octuplets. Right. Yeah. I don't know why she put up with it up until this point. But and I guess, you know, there were a bunch of embryos that were banked from the last time she did the in vitro. And I read that they were getting ready to get rid of them. And the lady was like, no, you can't get rid of my embryos. And so she had them all implanted. Oh, geez. And so it also brings up questions about the doctor. And is that ethical? And should the doctor, like, draw a line somewhere? I don't know what, sorry, but the embryo thing, I don't really understand what that means. If they planted them in her, so she's going to have more babies? Yeah. Well, that was where they...
An embryo is like a person. Yeah, an embryo is when in the lab they make the egg and the sperm meet. Okay. And then they hold on to those just in case you ever want to have more babies. And in this case, you know. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Oh, I didn't know that. Wait, wait, wait. I'm figuring something out here. They take a fertilized embryo? That's in vitro is them planting that in you. Yeah. Okay, but they can hold on to a fertilized egg? I don't know if they were holding on to the egg. They were probably holding on to the egg. And they were getting ready to get rid of the eggs. And so she went and got more sperm. And was like, don't get rid of those eggs. Don't get rid of my eggs. I want a huge omelet. Put them all in. Apparently. Put them all in. Dude. I mean, why would somebody want to have... It sounds like she didn't even consider the fact of like... This may not be a good idea. And why? Seems very selfish. The only thing she was thinking was, I just want kids. I want kids. I want more, more, more. Give me, give me, give me more, more, more. Now, now, now. Down, down, down. Yeah. Why would you want so many? 14. Yeah. You know what I mean? So it's crazy. Sounds off her rocker. And so now she's finally saying that she is willing to talk to the press.
The mother of the octuplets and also six other children, she's now willing to talk to the press. But it's going to cost $2 million if you want to interview her. Dude, you want to know something? I saw a ticker running the other day on MSNBC, and they were talking about this very topic, right? They calculated how much it would cost to raise 14 kids to the age of 18. Right. Over. $2.7 million. Easily, yeah. Wow. Over $2.7 million to raise that many kids to the age of 18. And this is a 33-year-old single woman living at home. Yes. What does she do for work? Say what? What does she do for work? I read that she was, like, going to school to become, like, some sort of, like, family counselor or something. And this is what's crazy about it. You know, her mother. is going to become the mother of these kids because she's going to have to support the kids and be out there working. There's no dad. It's, to me, a very sad story for these kids. Yeah, so they claim that she has already booked interviews on Oprah and Diane Sawyer in her efforts to try and raise more money. And then from this point on, if anybody wants to interview her or have her do endorsements for them or their products.
it would be $2 million. Are you serious? I cannot wait for her. Yeah, how about Trojan condoms? Yeah, no kidding. I've abandoned my child! Whatever, dude. Eight of them. I mean, you know what I mean? I've abandoned my boy! There's got to be a girl in there somewhere, right? I mean, you would think that there would be. I've abandoned my child! Okay, we understand what you got. All I got is a female reproduction score. Oh, wow. That's interesting. All right. Fine. Can we, like, get some money together and let Matt Lauer at her? Yes, dude. Dude, Oprah's going to light her up. Are you kidding? I can't wait for that. It's going to be fantastic. That's the thing. I mean, she's charging all this dough. And Diane Sawyer. Neither of them hold back. Which, by the way, I think that the charging of the $2 million is unwise. And the reason for that is because it's so high. Like, if you really wanted to raise the dough. You would set the bar lower, get a whole bunch. There you go. You know, this way, you're not going to, I mean, are you really even going to get one? Well, People Magazine paid what? Like, I think $14 million for the Brangelina twins. Is this that? It's getting big. Maybe it is that big. If they could get the cover story for People Magazine, I think they'd easily pay $2 million for that. Two mil. Because they'll make all that money back. Dude. Yeah. Are they going to make the money back? Like, People, I mean, I guess. Yeah.
I guess so. Crazy story. It is a crazy story. The former fiance of Drew Peterson called their engagement a media stunt. Now, this is a dude that killed his wife, allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. Because she's been missing forever, right? Stacey Peterson. Well, allegedly killed his wife in 2004. The wife was found dead in the bathtub, originally ruled an accident. But after his current wife went missing, they dug up the body, found that to be a homicide, investigating that. His current wife is missing, and he is a person of interest in the disappearance, which police are treating as a homicide. So he basically has a dead wife who they're investigating him for and a missing wife who they're investigating him for. And then he turned up engaged to this. He's 55 years old. Turns up engaged to this 24-year-old woman. Creepy. And she has just moved out of the house and is now speaking to the press and says the whole engagement was a publicity stunt that was staged so he could keep himself in the media spotlight. Oh, come on.
Come on. Yeah. Seems like a good guy. Yeah. She said that, you know, he wooed her. He waited on her hand and foot. He was so good to her children. He spoiled her, gave her everything she wanted. But her family kept telling her. Like, are you crazy? What are you thinking? You know, look at this guy's history. He's obviously brainwashing you by, you know, spoiling you rotten. And she said one day she finally came to her senses after her father was, like, broken down in tears over it. And she moved out of the house. And now she finally, like, sees what was going on. Well, it seems like she was into it. How is that a media stunt? Yeah, it sounds like she was into it in the beginning. Oh, yeah. She was, like, into it, but it was his idea to, like, get engaged and to bring all the publicity upon them. But she was into him because he was spoiling her rotten. P1 Cecilia, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Good morning. What's up? Hey, I was listening to Sky. You guys talked about that story.
No one's talking about the fact that in vitro is super expensive. So if this girl doesn't have a job, who's paying for the in vitro? Great question. That's a good question. Oprah, get on it. It's super expensive. And I did read in an article where she was talking to someone, like a neighbor or something, and the woman was like, wow, how can you afford all that? And she's like, oh, don't worry, it's paid for. Are you serious? And the neighbor or whatever didn't push it to find out exactly how it's paid for. But the woman gave the impression that she wasn't covering those costs. That's infuriating. I don't know exactly how that. That is just really creepy. And there's no dad. That's what breaks my heart the most. I have a 17-month-old, just one, and my husband's very involved. I couldn't even imagine having eight. 14. 14. I'm sorry. 14. Please. Somebody send her the message. No sex alive. Please. I mean, it's bad. She wasn't. She did it. There was no sex. I guess that was the deal. You know what I'm saying? Another charger has been arrested on DUI charge. What? It's not Michael Turner, was it? He's not a charger. Well, that's the story. Oh, my. Now.
I told Eddie, I told Eddie, I don't know who it is, and I don't want to know who it is until he says it on the air. So I'm going to find out who it is right along with you. And Eddie says a big name. A real big name. It's a big name. So another Charger has been arrested on DUI, and we'll find out who next. You're a whining little kid. This is the Mikey Show on The Rock. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. This is a good song. Late 30s like me then. Or even in your mid 30s like Eddie. You dig it. 6.58 and I told you that right before we went to break us and when we come back I want to talk to you about a charger that has been arrested for DUI. Another charger. Now. With the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Before I give you the name of the Charger, I got to tell you a couple other things that happened in sports last night, including Kobe Bryant setting a Madison Square Garden record.
Scoring 61 points last night as the Lakers beat the Knicks 126-117. 61? Well, you've got to think. Madison Square Garden has been there for a long time. Yeah, one of the oldest. 61 points. I mean, you'd think that somebody would have scored more than that, but that's the record. Do you think that in the history of the NBA, Jordan probably holds the record for the most points in a game? No, that's where Will Chamberlain scored 100. He scored 100? Yeah. Jordan scored 60-something in a game, though. Yeah, oh, yeah. I think he scored more than that, too. Yeah, there might have been. And I know Bird had a couple of... Get out of here with Bird. Now, Eddie, I wonder if this is Kobe's personal best or just the Madison Square Garden deal or whatever. I don't know. I'll look it up. That's cool. But here's Kobe talking about his big night. This place is special because the fans, they'll boo you the whole game, but they appreciate the game. And I think tonight... It felt great to get that reaction from these fans because it's just them saying we love what you do. It was a great performance. And for them to celebrate that at that moment felt great. I wonder if he really means it when he says that the Madison Square Garden fans appreciate the game. And if he does mean it.
then I would like him to list all the different places that he plays and evaluate their fans. That would be great. Portland Trailblazers. Their fans, they don't get it. They don't understand the game of basketball. Oh, that would be awesome. I would love to know his thoughts on all the different arenas. That would be cool. Manny Ramirez turned down the Dodgers' one-year offer for, get this, $25 million. What? Why would he? I don't even know. That's clearly not enough. What? Clearly not enough. What? Dude. One year, $25 million. Manny says nah. Why? Why? Why? He wants more than one year. He wants, you know, a few years. He wants like three or four. So it's not really about the money. It's about the longevity. It's about the length of the contract. I want you to love me. This is what it's about. Manny's crazy. That's what he wants. Rob, you know this guy because you've followed him for a long time, Manny. And Eddie has said, Manny's crazy. You know, Manny's a little bit crazy. He's a little. He's a little. Does he want the three-year deal because he wants to be wanted? He wants a four or five or like six years. Dude, he wants to be locked in wherever he is so that at the end of his contract he can go, see you later, thank you. It's security. At the end of the six years? Yeah, at the end of whatever his contract would be. He would want like a...
If that's the case, why wouldn't he want a one-year contract at the end of the year? He could say so long. Because he wants to be like, because how old is he? He's like 35, 36. I mean, if he has a one-year deal and doesn't perform like he's used to, then he's not going to get a huge deal after that one year. So he wants a four-year deal and guaranteed his money, and he can do whatever he wants then at that point. Then he can become. The Manny that the Red Sox knew. Yeah, exactly. But if they keep him to a one-year deal, he's going to perform. Well, I don't think he's going to sign a one-year deal. P1 Quim. Oh, look at Adam is calling in. Oh, he's calling in with the answer about Kobe Bryant. Go ahead. Go ahead. But like Eddie said, a four-year deal, he can turn into that Manny being Manny. He can pull shenanigans. He can do whatever because he's locked into a contract. It's not. Manny Ramirez once in the middle of the game walked into the scoreboard and urinated. Because he had to go. Sometimes he had to go, Mike. What are you supposed to do? Yeah. Okay. Now, a lot of people are probably hearing that right now for the first time and they're thinking to themselves, that's funny. No, no, no. It's true. It's true. I wish I had a blooper reel on the stuff he's done. How about last year when he caught that, or I think it was last year when he caught that ball?
and jumped over the fence and gave the fan the high five. Wow. He was sprinting, you know, to the backstop, or not to the backstop, but to, like, the outfield fence. Yeah. And over his head, caught the ball, and he was kind of running up the fence. Uh-huh. You know, so he had one foot up on it, pushed off, slapped the guy in the first row, high five, turned around. Threw the ball and then made the play at second. Well, the play is still going on. And made the play at second and got him out. Turn two. Nutbag. That's a crazy guy. It is. It's crazy. That is. He's got a rocket for him. Because at first, I thought, oh, you know, he made like the out and the play was over. Maybe like third out or whatever. No, dude. Came down and freaking fired it to second and got the guy. As a Boston Red Sox fan, what do you think of that? Of that play? Yeah. Dude, I didn't see the game, and I had the package, and my buddy called me. He said, you're recording the game? I said, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is while he was still a Red Sox, right? Yeah, yeah. This was midway through last year before the real drama started kicking in. And, dude, seeing that, it was on Nessun is the New England Sports Network. Yeah, yeah. And, dude, that, like, became a commercial for everything after. You know, because it's...
It doesn't happen. It's crazy. Manny's a big dude, too. So for him to show that athleticism? Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, Rob. Scism? Yes. Well, whatever, man. You get it. You're feeling me. You know what I'm saying. Wow. I got to, bro. Holy cow. That one will give you a hard time. They're not easy. Yeah, don't put that on the books. All right, you guys ready? Yes. Eddie. Eddie, who is it? This charger was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Sunday morning. So it was Saturday night, Sunday morning, about 1.30 in the morning. Big name, Jamal Williams. No, not Jamal. Jamal Williams. No. Man arrested. What? What happened? He was speeding on the 94. Cop pulled him over and, you know. Oh, dude. That's the way it is. Now, who else got busted? Vincent Jackson. Right before the big playoff game. Jamal Williams is a big name. So you think he missed the Super Bowl? Was he in the drunk tank or what? Don't you get held when you're arrested on the weekend until Monday morning? Are you really? I think so. Oh, yeah. Sometimes celebrities get special treatment. Yeah, I was going to say with him, I don't know.
What special treatment? Come on. Yeah, that never happens. Wow. What? I just, again, blows my mind that these guys make so much money and can't call a cab or, you know, rent a driver or walk. Write an open letter to them, Eddie. I just don't get it. Tell them what's up. I just don't get it. Why risk everything? Why? There's so much going for him. And more importantly, risking other people's lives. You could kill someone. That's what I don't get. 570-1053 is our phone number if you want to give us a call. And we're going to work on getting the text back up, too. Do we figure out the Kobe thing? Oh, P1 Adam had a hang-up, but him and P1 Chaotic called in and said two years ago Kobe scored 82 points in one game. That is gnarly. I can do it. Rob, do you remember the slam dunk competition, Rob? He just killed it. Well, Eddie, you're going to let him get away with that, saying he killed it. Well, he almost killed himself. Well, that's true. Hey, Sky, what were the ratings for the Super Bowl? Let's see. It wasn't as big as the previous year, but it was still pretty giant. 90 million people. The way you presented that is kind of...
Weird. Like, it was the second highest rated Super Bowl of all time next to last year. Last year was the biggest Super Bowl of all time. So it was the second highest rated Super Bowl of all time. So, I mean, it's gigantic. That's because of the recession. Yeah, over 90 million. Because of the recession, there wasn't as many. Yeah, in 2008, 97.5 million people watched the Super Bowl, but this year, 90 million people watched. If you're watching television at the time that the Super Bowl is on, why do you... I mean, I understand if you don't like football, but no, no, no, no, let me take that back. I don't understand. Even if you don't like football. I don't understand why you wouldn't watch the Super Bowl. Yeah, what else is on that you would watch? Yeah, I mean, there's stuff happening. The puppy bowl with the kitten bowl halftime show was pretty delish. Quit it. You didn't watch it. You didn't watch it. You watched the Super Bowl. Well, I TVO'd, I DVR'd the puppy bowl just to watch the kitten halftime show, and it was awesome, dude. It was quite a stage setup. The puppy bowl, do they just stick a bunch of puppies in it?
In a ring? In a bowl. Yeah. It looks like a football field, and they put a bunch of toys in there, and they actually have a ref, and they're calling the play. Who's the ref? A person? Yeah. Some creepy dude. A person? A total creepy dude. You watched it, Rob? I watched some of it. Oh, hey, Tootie Fruity. Hey. Get out of here. What are you, hitting on me? Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. That kitten halftime show blew doors off of Bruce Springsteen. What do they do? Not possible. Not possible. They have this, like, stage set up, and it looks like a big, they put it in the middle of the football field, and they make it look like this big, you know, dramatic stage set up with, like, multiple layers, and then all over the place they have, like, like different toys, like the battery- What's their problem? Why are we talking about this? And then at the very end, they drop all the confetti, which freaks the kittens out, and they try and run and hide, and sometimes they'll fall in the water dish. That's really cute. It was awesome, everybody. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. The ratings were great for that. Okay, here's what we're going to do. First of all, the audio today is fantastic. We haven't even done the Christian Bale freakout yet. Oh, come on.
That's coming up. But this is kind of interesting. Apparently, sponsors and celebrities are coming out to support Michael Phelps. He is, you know, getting a lot of support from this, you know, bong-smoking photo. And, you know, your thoughts, 570-1053, but we're going to be discussing it next. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. We're going to be getting to this Michael Phelps stuff in just a minute. So just hang tight. Let's deal with some of the sponsors for Michael Phelps saying see you later. And we'll be getting to it in just a minute. The thing that I think is so huge today is this audio of Christian Bale. Oh, man. Oh, my gosh. So he's got a new movie coming out, which looks fantastic. Dude, the new Terminator? Terminator Salvation. Doesn't that look good? Are you for real? There's another one? Where have you been? He's the older John Connor. That's right. When he fights the machines. That's right, man. But this audio is absolutely crazy, man. Apparently what happens is he's on the set of the movie and the director of photography walks onto the set and he ruins the scene. Christian Bale gets very upset. The audio quality is really good, and he gets really upset with his director of photography. Look, G, you got something to say to this? I didn't see it happen. Well, somebody should be watching and keeping an eye on him. Fair enough. This is the second time that he doesn't give a about what is going on in front of the camera. All right? I'm trying to do a scene here, and I'm going, why the is Shane walking in there?
What is he doing there? Do you understand my mind is not in the scene if you're doing that? Stay off the f***ing set, man. For f***ing sake. Right, let's go again. Let's not take a f***ing minute. Let's go again. And let's not have you f***ing walking in. And he's all in like his Terminator outfit. I love it so far. I love it. What accent is that? I was just thinking that. Like it went from British to Southern to Pennsylvania. I really, I was in my head. I was going, where is that accent? Eddie, do we know where he's from? I think he's from Wales. Really? I want to say. Because he's got so many different. Wales, West Virginia? Yes, Rob. Wales, West Virginia. Can I have Tom put this on, please? You're unbelievable, man. You're unbelievable. Number of times you're strolling around in the background. I never had a DP behave like this.
You don't understand what it's like working with actors. That's what that is. That's what that is, man. I'm telling you. I'm not asking. I'm telling you. You wouldn't have done that otherwise. Theories. He is from Wales. Is that it? That's a theory? Yes. Yeah. Is it that he plays these characters and he gets into it and he can't get out of it? He doesn't have the ability? I don't think so. No? He's just wound up real weird. Because he did do the stuff with his mom. In case you didn't know, his mom and his sister, he was accused of beating him up or something. Well, there was a physical altercation. Allegedly. You got to turn your mic off. Yeah, man. He's definitely wound tight. Yeah. And so I think the fact that it happened twice where this guy ruined scenes, just spring broke in his head. And that's crazy. It happened twice.
Which sounds strange in itself, but it was an overreaction. That was definitely an overreaction. I need to take some time off. There's a little bit of hurt, sadness, and fear in there. And I'm not sure which one. I like when the director told him to take a minute, and he's like, easy, Batman. Take it easy. Dude, get in your Terminator mobile and get on out of here. Goodbye. And don't come back for five more minutes. Back already? Get out of here. You haven't cooled off. I guarantee you have not cooled off yet. That is nuts. I love that. He's really upset. I wish we could get more stuff like that. 570-1053 is the phone number. I want to be upset. I want to f***ing kick your f***ing ass. You don't shut up for a second, all right? I'm going to go. You want me to go?
trash your lights? Do you want me to trash them? Then why are you trashing my scene? Dude. Wow. Now he's threatening him? Let me tell you. Hollywood must think he's a fantastic actor because it's not like no one knows this. This isn't the first time Bale's freaked out on set. So people in Hollywood must know and they must either think well I'll be able to deal with his personality. I'll change him. Or they think to himself, you know what, man? He's a great actor. I need him for this role. I mean, but that's a little over the top right there. You are trashing my scene. You do it one more f***ing time and I ain't walking on this set if you're still hired. I'm f***ing serious. You're a nice guy. You're a nice guy. I really like you. You're my best friend. You're one of my dearest friends. I'm going to hug you. Oh, man. Keep hugging me. Wow. Harsh. Little bit. You're a nice guy. Your mother sent me a card. Wait, what? Yeah, you might get it. He doesn't.
Christian, I'm sorry. Listen! I love that guy right there, but right now I'm mad. I would love to see the body language of the people on set. I'd love to see the people overhearing this and their facial expressions because they're not in Christian Bale's eye line. Like, I want to see the eye rolls. You know what I would do? I would throw myself under one of those mats that they put on you when you get an x-ray. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You know, that guards you from the x-rays, you know, the radiation. I'd hide under one of those. I would pantomime him from behind him. Make everybody laugh. He's very upset. 5701053. And it's Christian Bale. This is P1R6. Hello. Good morning, you guys. Hello, R6. Well, I'm not defending his behavior in any way, but I am a theater major myself, and I know from experience about being on set and in character that if someone messes you up, it's...
I mean, you put so much into being a character. I don't know what he's doing right now as far as in that particular clip that you're playing, what character he's playing. But depending on how severe you are acting, if someone messes up your train of thought or your concentration, it gets upsetting, especially since he said it was the second time he's already done it that day. Now, R6, I have a question for you. Okay. Because I sort of, when we started playing the clips, I sort of offered that as, hmm, I wonder, but. This is the thing. When he's not making movies, he is exhibiting this behavior because he was in trouble for assaulting his mom and his sister. Allegedly. Allegedly. And they said that she was trying to extort money from him. He refused to sign for a loan that she wanted. And so he assaulted her for that. No, actually, I don't really think he's being charged with anymore. I think that she dropped the charges against him. She said they were more severe than what really happened. Huh. Well, now, I got to be honest with you. We've heard that on other movies, he's had a bit of a temper. And you also have to ask yourself, well, aren't there other actors who are also in the same film that are doing the same sort of role and that have done roles like that for years and years and years that don't behave in this way?
See, that's the thing. I'm like, man, you hear it and you're like, well, even if you are in character, you can't abuse people. He's being abusive. I mean, he wanted to beat that dude up. You heard him almost starting to beat the guy up in the clip. He starts to freak out so bad, he's about to go after the guy physically. That's true. I'm not part of his band club or anything. I'm going to kick your ass. Shut up for a second, all right? I'm going to go. Yeah, see, that, I think, might be a little over and above the getting into character thing. You know what I mean? I'm going to take a sledgehammer to your teeth. Oh, too soon. Too soon.
I can understand being angry, but threatening physical violence, threatening to destroy property, that's going to another level. Now, do you guys think that this is going to make it into the DVD extras? Oh, I would pay so much money. Can you imagine if that were in there? If they were smart. I have a question. Go ahead. Do you think that they, who is allowed to release that? Oh, I don't think anybody was allowed to release that. I mean, the audio is from, obviously, from one particular thing. Oh, yeah. Well, listen, I would guess that the director of photography probably had some audio rolling. Maybe. You know, and it sounds like the director of photography doesn't appreciate the behavior. Right, but, I mean, obviously, he's going to get in a lot of trouble for releasing it. I mean, defamation of characters. Well, wait a second. Hang on a second. What? In terms of... In terms of getting in trouble for releasing it, nobody's going to cop to releasing it. So it could be anybody that released it. So nobody will actually be held accountable for it. And whoever released it is probably not going to say. But I am so curious, R6, because it sounds like you're really a fan of Mission Bale.
I mean, he's a really good actor, but I mean, I just know from experience, not to that severity. Yeah, yeah. I've seen people, even in like theater, like actual, not film, but theater, get very upset at people who are being irresponsible. We were out on set making noise. And she's claiming defamation of character. It's not defamation of character if those are his own words. That's audio of him. Defamation of character is when you say something about somebody that isn't true. And you know what I mean? Okay. All right. That's very helpful. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Well, listen, R6, I appreciate the phone call. You're very welcome. All over the news this morning. All over. So that's coming up on the Today Show. They're going to start breaking that down. I wonder what Christian Bale's doing right now. He's hiding under one of those x-ray mats. I think he's punching something. Are we good on time? Yeah. Okay.
So there is some other really crazy audio that I have for you. You want to hear a 911 call from Orlando. There's a 911 call from Orlando that was right after a high-speed chase. It's a guy in Orlando right after a high-speed chase. The quality is not that great. But take a listen. Please call my wife. I'm getting assaulted. Call a lawyer. Please call my wife and a lawyer. But you're calling 911. That's the most important place you can. That's weird. I mean, what if the operator had said, and what message should I give to your wife? Are you going to be home late? Yes. Call my lawyer. Meeting's still on next week. This is ridiculous. I'm being assaulted. He's yelling at me and grabbing me, and he has maced me once, okay?
This is not cool. Get Channel 2, Channel 5, Fox 35, all of them down here. Call Domino's. Please don't taste me, bro. What is he saying? I didn't understand. He gave the address. Oh, he's giving the address. This is crazy. Yeah, we have several units on the way. Can I have your name, sir? Can I have your name, sir? Goodbye. Okay. No, I'm going to hold the phone as long as I can. Sir? Dude, I'm not even fighting you. I'm not even fighting you. Don't tase me. Oh, thank you. Same guy. That could be. Listen to what the truth is saying. Sir? Sir? Listen to what the truth is saying. What the heck? I have like seven minutes I'm out right now. What is that? Calm down. What is going on there? That was a freak show. Help, bro. Was that Christian Bale? It was not Christian Bale. That is an actual 911 call from Orlando. Now, here's what the news story says. Okay. It says, Eyewitness News obtained the 911 call made by a driver.
as he was being taken down by a trooper along busy I-4 over the weekend. Late Monday morning, the highway patrolman released the 911 call where the suspect can be heard screaming for help, even though the video shows him resisting arrest the whole time. Investigators told Eyewitness News the man was following too closely behind the trooper on I-4. Weird. That is just weird. Yeah, who tailgates a cop? Who does that? I mean, who does that? He eventually went around him and the trooper clocked him going 72 in a 65 and pulled him over. But the driver didn't want to give up his license, insurance or registration. I mean, what did he expect? I think it sounds like a plan. Like, you know, if I get pulled over, I'm going to call 911 and I'm going to make it sound like I'm getting assaulted. Weird. But what Dummy didn't think was that it could be videotaped. Yeah, they got those little dash cams. Yep.
YouTube out there to film it. Call him up. Call YouTube. Dude, seriously. Get YouTube down here. Do you think that that could be, like, he could be in trouble for, can they prove that he was trying to do something like that? Oh, yeah, there's something illegal. I don't know what they could call it, but there's some kind of lying, something defrauding. Okay, I promise we're going to get to this next. It is the sponsors and the celebrities that are coming out and supporting Michael Phelps. smoking a bong. It's all on video. And we're going to get to that next. Dude, is that the one where at the very end of it, the black guy drinks the gold? The black guy's drinking the gold. I wonder how much did Sky make for letting them borrow money? Yes! We all thought of Sky. Okay, let's get it out of our systems. We all thought of Sky. I could, but I would. And sometimes you. I have a cup full of it now. Gimme, gimme, gimme. All right. So anyway, did anybody else have a problem with their sound? Hey, guys. During the Super Bowl. I love money. Anybody? But gold, specifically. Can we? Yes. Show me. The gold. The gold. The gold. Show me the gold bullion. Show me the gold. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Yes. Kanye West, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and T.I. They're all on one song? Yes, pick up with Kanye. I like when he does that.
737, welcome back to the show. Michael Phelps smoked a bong. And someone took a picture of it when he smoked a bong. And, you know, you would think, too, that Michael would know who it was that took the picture, unless it was a complete stranger. But you would think he would remember. I remember who was standing next to me. I remember who was there. Well, it sounds like he was at a party. Or if it was like a camera phone, he didn't even, you know. Yeah, true. Someone just did it real quick. A room full of people, yeah. Well, if you see Michael Phelps, Yeah, please. Hitting a bong, you're probably going to be like, I'm taking a picture of this. I'd just be like, hey, Michael, could you hold this for me? Yeah. Snap, snap, snap. Wow, I'm making money. The only problem is, is you'd have to say, hey, Michael, can you smoke this for me? Because that's what he was doing. He had his lips wrapped around the bong, you know, and he's hitting this bong. Maybe he thought it was food. Oh, could be. Thought it was a popsicle. That's a weird thought. So what is the deal now, Sky? His sponsors and other celebrities, they want to support him, right? Well, yeah. The big talk was, is he going to be dropped by all his sponsors? And it's not looking that way at all. Speedo released a statement saying... Why are you laughing? That's one of his huge sponsors. That's one of his huge sponsors, Speedo. They released a comment that said, hi. They said, in light of Michael Phelps' statement yesterday, Speedo would like to make a...
clear that it does not condone such behavior and we know that Michael truly regrets his actions. He was a bad bad boy. Michael Phelps is a valued member of the Speedo team and a great champion. I love you Michael. We will do all that we can to support him and his family. I'm America's sweetheart. He's also one of his other endorsements is the Swiss watchmaker Omega. Released a statement saying the current story in the press involves Michael Phelps' private life and is, as far as Omega is concerned, a non-issue. They don't care. That's right. The Olympic Committee released a statement. The Olympic Committee, lots of people were saying, is this going to affect his Olympic career? Or swimming. Yeah. They say Michael Phelps is a great Olympic champion. He apologized for his inappropriate behavior. We have no reason to doubt his sincerity and his commitment to continue to act as a role model. Michael, what do you say? He used to swimming with bow-legged women. Weird. That's odd. Strange comment.
And then for some reason, Ashton Kutcher has come out and released. So has Tommy Chong and Matthew McConaughey. Right. Ashton says, I wish the media would kill this Phelps story. God forbid he hit a bong. Go ask your 20-year-old kid what he did last weekend. Oh, come on, dude. Come on. You are an idiot. He said role model and everything. Come on. So there it is. That is the goofiest story, man. Right. I had something in my head I was just going to ask you, and it was fleeting. Swagger like that? No, it wasn't swagger like that. I wanted to ask you something about what you thought about this. Michael Phelps happens. You have such a good question or thought, and then it's gone in a second. It doesn't happen to you as much as it happens to me, but I hate it. But it happens. It happens. 570-1053. What do you think? A bunch of people are calling. P1 Sasha, are you there?
Yes. What do you think, Sasha? Well, this is actually not about Michael Phelps. What is it? But yesterday I was listening and, Mikey, you said that you'd watch anything in 3D. Yeah. Well, yesterday I was at home and I was watching TV and there was a commercial for the Jonas Brothers in 3D. Yes! There it is, Mike. Give it, Mike. Maybe I wouldn't watch anything in 3D. I don't think so. You've already committed to it. I might not watch that. We'll see you there. You said you'd watch anything. All right, fine. I'll watch it. I have to be true to my words. That dude's eyebrows coming at you in 3D. Nightmare. Give it to me. P1 Yosemite, Samantha. Hi, Mikey. How are you doing? I'm doing good. How are you? Good. I just wanted to say real quick in regards to Michael Phelps that... Usually in the Olympics, when they get you in trouble or they strip your medals, it's because of a performance-enhancing drug, right? Mm-hmm. Well, in the words of Robin Williams, the only way that marijuana would be a performance-enhancing drug is if there was a giant chocolate bar on the other side of the street. Yeah, that's the truth. That's true. That's the truth. You know, but, I mean, it's weed. It's illegal. He's not supposed to be doing it. Yeah, definitely not a good thing. Not supposed to be doing it, and, you know.
Whatevs. Yeah, people make mistakes. I just don't see how it really would impact him as his performance in the Olympics specifically. I don't think it did or it does or anything. I think a dude was just at a party and he was smoking weed, which was a mistake. And once it happens, you just go, I'm really sorry, and you try not to go there again. You know what I mean? I agree with you, Mikey. Thank you. All right. 570-1053 is the number. P1-Say-E. Hey, Mikey. Aston Kutcher with his comment about what most 20-year-olds are doing last week. And most of the ones I know are serving their country honorably and not hitting a bomb. In your face, Ashton. That's right. You got punked. What does the cast of Grey's Anatomy think? I want to know what their thoughts are. I want to know everybody. What does Samantha Ronson, the DJ girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan, think about this matter? I want to know what everyone thinks about this matter. Talk about it. All right, I got another one for you.
First of all, I'm going to talk today about this text message thing, and I think we're going to have our text messages back. Oh, that would be huge. I'm 90% sure. Well, not in the same way. It won't be the same number. Just give us something. But I think that we're very, very close. Okay. A police chased a carjacker who carjacked a BMW in PB at gunpoint. Whoa. And put the owners back in the car. What is this? This is crazy. So this went down a little bit before noon yesterday in PB. I guess this couple. Where? A couple parked their car on Ingram Street. They were going to Rocky's Restaurant. So they got out of their car. It's right by where I live. Really? Yeah, I remember when you were riding your bike around there. Oh, that's right. What is that? We went to lunch that one time when we were shopping for the clothes for the billboard. Yeah. And Ashley rolls up on her bike.
It was the restaurant right next to Rocky's. Oh, wow. Oh, that's where we were? Yeah. Oh, that's cool. Who knew? Okay. Who knew? If it's not Nescan Vito, whatever. Okay, North County. I don't know where I'm at. We know. So anyway, so yeah, so they park their car, they get out, and that's when three guys wearing hooded jackets come up to them with a gun and force them back in. Rob, what are you laughing at? You are inappropriate. No. Eddie's a jerk. He was doing the Ashley face. When she pulled up on the bike and she's just clueless ringing her bell. She had a bell on the stereo? Oh, yeah, the bell. Oh, man. Yeah, the bell on the basket. You could have been bike robbed. I have a bell on the basket and my bike is Lime Sherbert's. I wish you would be bike robbed. I love it. Do you still ride it? Yeah. Do you still ride it? Oh, for sure. That's fantastic. So three dudes wearing hooded jackets come up, force the couple back into the car at gunpoint. And luckily, a witness saw this all go down. What time of day? Right before noon. And that's a busy corner. That's why I'm like, whoa. Yeah. And they force them back in the car? Yeah. Why?
I don't know. I guess maybe so they couldn't call the cops or maybe they were going to take him to ATM. I have no idea what their plan was, but they forced him back in the car. They take off. So it's the three, you know, creepies and then the couple and they take off. Where's the couple in the back? Yeah. With one of them. Yeah. And then the other two are in the front seats. And what do they do? They take off going south on Ingram Street, but luckily a witness saw and immediately called 911. So police were on them immediately, followed them on Ingram Street through Mission Bay, finally ended up going eight on the east. As they're driving eight on the east, the carjackers are throwing their guns out of the car. Oh, my gosh. I think they were going east on the eight. They weren't going eight on the east. Eight on the east. It could have. Somebody's on pain medication. I've been driving on the east. She was going, hey, can I take the north five? Everyone knows what I mean, okay? All right. I'm going north on the fives. Oh, no. So they're throwing the guns out of the car while they're driving on the eight. What? Yeah, crazy. Throwing guns? Unbelievable. When did this all go down? Free guns.
I told you yesterday. Right before noon. Have you been taking my pills? Have you been taking my pills? Third time's the chart. Where did this happen? I'm going to take the North 5. So they got off on Hotel Circle, but then got back on it, Taylor Street, and then finally... Yeah, well, it's confusing. It's so confusing. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you know. It's just an opportunity for you to do that, and you know it. It's a hotel circle. I mean, it's very confusing. Oh, man, Eddie. So they're back on the 8 East.
And then they finally pull the BMW over into the center median and jump out of the car, run across the westbound lanes near Riverwalk Golf Course. And then that's when the police bring out the dogs. And the dogs found all three of them hiding in a bush near a motel. Party time. And all three of them are from L.A. They range between 20 and 23 years old. One of the guns, the police found all the guns on the freeway. One of the guns was actually a stolen gun. 23, you said? Well, 20, 22, and 23. Oh, so they're young. They just make mistakes. Yeah. Well, it's okay. I mean, if you're 22 or 23. What was your 20-year-old doing last weekend? Same thing. So they're all in police custody, and the couple and the car was not harmed. Oh, man, dude. That's crazy. So did they go back to Rocky's and have lunch? Well, Eddie, Rocky's is delicious. Their burgers? Their burgers? Bro. You can't feed them, dude. It's freaking yummy. Let's see. How about this one? Did you hear about this?
Macy's announced that they're going to be cutting 7,000 jobs yesterday. Wow. 7,000. Man, the economy is just terrible. Really? How did that start? It really needs to come around. Hey, Sean's not even here, okay? I don't care. Yeah, it was Clinton's deal. So, yeah, Macy's also said it won't be raising their executive salaries this spring. And we'll cut the amount that they're matching the 401k contributions. P1BDB really has been wanting to get this comment on the air throughout the morning, and he's calling back. Are you there, BDB? Hey, what's going on, guys? What's up, man? What did you want to say? Hey, I was just calling to reference with that Michael Phelps thing going on, and you can really be never too safe. I don't know if you guys heard about what happened to the New York Mets about five years ago, but that photograph actually surfaced on the news with my buddy, and it was with him and Piazza, and they had the bong. And that's when the big scandal came out. And basically how it happened was he was dating a girl when he was in the minor leagues for two years and he broke up with her and she got mad. So she gave the picture to the press. Now, I don't remember this. Eddie, do you remember this? I don't remember this story either. Mike Piazza with a bong? Well, it was a few of the Mets, you know, and it ranged back to even about four or five years ago. If you check out the news. Who's your buddy? I don't really want to get his name over here. Why not? It's the story. It happened.
Yeah, I know. If you guys look it up, his name will be in the front page of it. You know, and he's a local guy from San Diego. He played high school here. He was their top prospect pitcher for the minor leagues. He went up to the majors with him. Either way, bro, your friends are going to be saying to him, hey, I heard so-and-so's voice on the air talking about your story, so it kind of doesn't matter now. You can say the name of the guy. Yeah, I know. But I still won't. Okay. All right. All right. You play a tough game. You do. You're a tough ball player, kid. Yeah, I know. Just look it up and you'll see his name. Tell us. Eddie's searching frantically right now for it on Google. Google. We'll figure it out. All right, brother. About 2002. 2002. All right. We'll check it out. Thank you, dude. It's an interesting story. You know, here's the deal. I think that if it's an old picture, if it's an old picture, you know, you kind of got to go, well, people make mistakes, man. They grow up. The problem with this picture with Michael Phelps is it just happened, you know? Right. You know, he won all his gold medals and it just happened. Now, it's not that, you know, Michael Phelps is a bad guy or anything like we were saying yesterday. If you make a mistake, it's just, you know, what do you do then? You say, hey, man, I'm sorry about this and I want to change it. Yeah. Because any one of us can make a mistake. We all do. And so what do you do? I Googled it too. Yeah, it doesn't exist. You can't find it? This guy's lying.
Maybe. I don't know. We're going to keep looking. We're going to look until we root it out. Yep. All right? All right, Mike. Hey, speaking of this sort of scandalous audio, Joe Torre has written a book. And, dude, this book dishes it, right, Eddie? It's crazy, man. Who's he talking about? He talks about everybody, but specifically he's got some pretty harsh words about Alex Rodriguez. Oh, man. Wow. When we return, I'm going to play you a clip of Joe Torre on Larry King. And these are very sensational clips where he's talking about how he says that the relationship between Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter was something. He talks about people criticizing him for violating the code of the clubhouse. The code. Crazy. You don't do that, man. You don't talk about what happens. It stays in there. And he's not even retired. That's the other kind of crazy thing to me, you know? Yeah, he's still playing. So this could have an effect on his players that he manages now saying, well, you're going to be talking about me? And so we're going to play you this crazy audio next. This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3.

No longer the manager for the Yankees. He's a manager for the L.A. Dodgers. Now for what, one season? He's done it one season? And he wrote a book, right, Eddie? Yes. Is he old? Or he's writing a book. Is he old? Or he wrote a book with a guy or something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's kind of old. Kind of old? Yeah, he's old. But it's a tell-all, man. And he's kind of dishing it on the Yankees. And he went on Larry King and he was kind of explaining it. Why did you write it or want to be a part of the writing of it? Well, I guess a little over two years ago, Tom Berducci approached me with an idea. Tom wrote my first book, Chasing a Dream. And he had the idea, let's do a narrative, which is what this book is. It's a chronicle about my 12 years in New York and really the changes that took place. in baseball during those 12 years and a lot of the stuff that hasn't been talked about to me this this book is going to sit on shelves it's going to be a piece of history because it tells you the changes it tells you how the red sox decided to change how they do business yep the cleveland indians of course it talks about the steroid stuff stuff i couldn't talk about in the first person how did the red sox decide how did they change it um well
There's a lot of things they do now that they didn't used to do, and this is within the past five, six years, especially when it comes to the offseason right now. They keep everything very secretive on the hush. Since A-Rod stuff happened and losing him, they don't give out a lot of information to who they're going to go after, who they're going to keep. It's almost like Mafia run. Now it's very just... on the down low. It's not mafia run, but it's like it's mafia. It's kind of like a code of silence. Yeah, yeah. There's a code of silence, you know, and they don't release anything until the last second and you'll be hard pressed to find, you know, comments from the upper management releasing something saying, oh, we're going to pursue him heavily or, you know, we're going to do that. So that's one of the big, big changes. I've read that in a couple of different books. Now, most dudes know when you're on a team, man, there's just a code of silence. You don't talk about what happens in the clubhouse. Joe Torre wrote this book, and they're asking him, so what's up with that? How about those who say you violated the code that, like Vegas, what happens in the clubhouse stays in the clubhouse? Boomer Wells, a pitcher who certainly had his own problems in the book himself. David Wells. Believe he means David Wells.
They call him Boomer, but I mean, you would think that Larry would let you read over his notes before he... I like that, Boomer Wells. Whatever. Now, I understand it says here, go to commercial after 20 seconds. Why do you go to commercial after 20 seconds? You don't have to read everything. I don't think that's meant for... Calls you a punk for breaking that code. David Wells calls him a punk for breaking the code. Boomer and I have always had this type of relationship. Yeah, it goes back years. We have a good time. I tell secrets about him, and he tells secrets about me. He calls me a punk. I call him a jerk. It's funny. We've had problems, but really, I think we've always respected each other professionally. Are you hurt by that? No, knowing Boomer. I mean, Boomer and I would go at it one-on-one. We had our safe-at-home dinner in New York in November. Safe-at-home dinner? You know what that is? No. Does anybody know what that is? No. It's where you're really safe at your house. Apparently it's a dinner. I would assume that it's a charity. Oh, okay. We're and I ran into each other, actually, on our last trip to San Diego. I ran into David Wells' trophies here in San Diego. Really? Really? Super nice guy, man. I saw him up in L.A., dude. I was in front of him in line, and he was with his kid or something. Yeah. And I was dying to say something to him, but he was with his kid, so.
I didn't. I saw him at a coffee shop in Seattle. Eddie. That's cool. That was a lie. Did you just want to be a part of that conversation? That was a lie, Eddie. Yes. I said, I want you to come to our dinner because we're honoring the 98 team at our safe at home dinner in New York. And he says, well, I don't like you or something to that effect. But I'll go. Yeah, I mean, that's the kind of relationship we have. That sounds fun. Oh, you guys are best friends. It sounds like a hysterical and really good relationship where everybody's just having a good time at all times. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. Totally. I hate your face, but yeah, I'll be there. Yeah, yeah. For sure. I might stab you afterwards, but you know what? I'll show up. Yeah. See you there. What about the stuff about Alex Rodriguez? Because you really gave out some information about Alex Rodriguez, Joe. All right, here's some of what you say in the book about Alex. A-Rod, when Alex came over, it became strained in the clubhouse. It was partly because of his nice tush. Nice tush in the business. When it comes to a key situation, he can't get himself to concern himself with getting the job done instead of how it looks. Alex monopolized all the attention. When Alex came over, he certainly changed just the feel of the club. And he needs all those statistics. He needs every record imaginable.
What's your view, overall view here? I can't disagree with any of that. Well, you wrote it, right? You said it. I don't disagree with me. He's like, well, I disagree with that first part. Whoever said that's a liar. But you're the genius. Alex is a special player. I don't think there's any player that's more talented than Alex Rodriguez. And he cares very deeply about doing well. Baseball is his life. He puts a lot of pressure on himself. And when he's funny, you didn't say any of that in the book. Yeah, these are all nice covers. When he first came over, I mean, you can't put an Alex Rodriguez into a clubhouse and not think it's going to change. Just based on, you know, who he is, his ability, what he's done. Wasn't that any player? Can't you put any player in a clubhouse and it'll change a little bit? It's a new person in the clubhouse, right? Yeah, but I think the extent of it will change more with the height of the big of a superstar you are. In the past. And the only thing I tried to get across to Alex was don't try to be the guy all the time. That's putting too much pressure on yourself. New York is a unique place to play because with the recent history where we had the success, they're only concerned about wins. So don't worry about anything else. Just go up there and do the best you can and they'll appreciate it. And Alex, he wants all the records, sure. I mean, he has the ability and he's that close to being able to accomplish things.
I probably want to be every other sports, professional sports player before baseball. You know, it just seems like. What? First of all. Hockey? That's not a major sport. Soccer? He's right. Sorry. Sorry. Here's the deal. Sorry. I don't like how many games away. You're just always gone, it seems like, man. You go to some city, you stay there for four or five days, you know. Football seems like the coolest. The travel you don't like. Dude, I would not want that. You wouldn't want basketball either then. Yeah, they play all the time too, right? It's even more intense with the traveling. A little bit more about Alex. Alex, as I say, puts a great deal of pressure, and the only thing I tried to do was keep him from putting all that pressure on himself because I don't think anybody can perform under that. Did that cause him to have problems with teammates?
I don't think he ever had problems with teammates. I know the... Well, what about the book? The book says that it... I know. Read more from the book. Read more excerpts. The A-fraud thing was more of a... A-fraud. A-fraud. He said that some of the teammates would call him A-fraud. Joking type thing. I know Larry Boa used to take him out to hit ground balls after he had a... Maybe a bad night. Oh, you have a bad game, big guy. Spoken like a true Boston Red Sox fan. You want me to take y'all for a soda there? You have a bad game? And it was right there in front of him. It wasn't like anything was said behind his back. Did he have a conflict with Derek Jeter? No. No. Am I saying they're the closest friends? No. I mean, they've known each other a long time. They've known each other since they were kids. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. The one was in Miami. The one was in Michigan. Yeah, but they were, you know, they... Even though one grew up in the Dominican Republic and the other was from Mars. How do you explain that? Exactly. They were young players. I guess they came together in some amateur baseball. But they knew each other for a long time. So, but they never had any conflicts.
Plus, they're both Latino, and so they're naturally drawn to one another. Similar color. Yeah, yeah. I think I get what you're saying here. Yes, I get it. They're both, like, very toasty brown. Yes. They say they weren't necessarily best friends, but they were professionals, and I thought they performed, you know, well together. They were not best friends. Oh. Well. Just say it. How do you feel about the breakup of Alex Rodriguez? and the relationship with Madonna. Oh, hello. How do you feel about A-Rod's divorce and Madonna and all that? I know it was after you left, but does it surprise you? I feel great. He's like, you know, Material Girl, good album. But I think as we started to get into the later years, the Vogue years, I thought she was losing it. I hate the cone boobs. I hated that period. You know, I'm sure it surprises me. And I feel bad for him. He has two young children. But I know Alex, he's a lightning rod. Everything he does, it always commands a great deal of attention. And, you know, that's something, I guess, that goes with the territory of being who you are, especially when you're playing for the New York Yankees. You know what eases the pain? $27 million a year. Fat and that other guy taking you out for ice cream after each game. Stop it.
You got to screw loose. Did you guys hear that Miley Cyrus is kind of under fire right now because of these racially insensitive pictures? I don't know the story. Sky has the story. Well, there's certainly no law against getting your enchiladas faster. Not to mention, I don't even drive. Tell it to the judge. Say some enchiladas just happen to find their way into your squad car. Would our little problem go away? Uh, what problem is that? Taco Bell's new spicy chicken enchilada platter. Smothered with warm, zesty red sauce and gooey melted cheese. Still quite a struggle out of the South Bay here from Chula Vista up toward the 15. And then you've got the backup out of Kearney Mesa heading up over the 52. Big time backup on the westbound 8. You've got the usual commute traffic through La Mesa from Spring Street out towards Lake Murray. But once you get in toward that right on Waring Road... Man, it is just a bumper-to-bumper ride, solid, struggling through the valley, past the queue, all the way up to Taylor Street in Hotel Circle. A bad accident here caused that major backup. South 15, still to front of Escondido, up to 78, the Via Rancho Parkway. Heavy again now from Camino Del Norte at Rancho Bernardo, down towards Mercy Road in Poway, and then westbound 56. San Diego's Rock. Five, three. Mikey Show. With a Mikey moment. A lady in Italy is filing a lawsuit claiming that the curious case of Benjamin Button was her story and it was stolen. Wait a minute. She wrote the story. She wrote it. A lady in Italy or a lady with an Italian accent. That's what the story was called when I wrote it. It was called The Button. He has a curious case. But when you translate it, right? Yeah, you know. But originally it was, Hey, Benjamin, you want to have a curious case? Hey, you're so curious. What's up with your case? Mickey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Oh, the line. Yes. This is the Asian.
You guys, you know it's 38 special. Oh, it is? Toto. It's 819 and Miley Cyrus has some pictures that have been really... Please, by all means, they got to take away the cameras and the stuff. She needs to stay away from technology. What is this, Sky? Well, it's her and a group of friends, and they are all kind of doing the slanty eye thing. No. Get out. Like with their fingers? They're pulling their fingers? Like that basketball team did? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Well, most of the people in the picture are just kind of like really closing their eyes a lot. But Miley and one of the other dudes in the picture is actually like pulling their eyes back. That's crazy. Let me show you. He's loading. Yeah, and by the way, there's an Asian guy in the picture. And she's behind him, and she's doing it. Yeah. Whoa. Let me see. Now, does that make it okay? Nope. Does that make it all right? You know what I'm saying? Like, if... Oh, man. That is... I don't think it will to some people.
Yeah, yeah, I think Ash was right. To some people, no matter what, that's wrong. Okay, now here's the deal. She's standing right next to an Asian dude who I'm assuming is her friend, and all of these guys are doing it. I'm going to assume he's not. You're going to assume it's not? I'm just kidding. And so my guess is that it's jokes that maybe he would make or something? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, that's a good guess. Let me give you a for instance. Listen, I'm Mexican. I make Mexican jokes about myself all the time. And if my friends make Mexican jokes about me, I'm cool with it. Like, that's an okay thing to do. You're cool with that? Yeah. All right, phew. Rob's like, because I've been doing it. I'm glad it's all right. I was nervous. Glad you brought it up. So, listen. You take her Asian friend out of that picture, and we're talking fierce controversy. The fact that he's in there, you know what I'm saying? Kind of softens the blow. A little, but still. Like, how dumb are you? Oh, no. We got to get him. We have to get an explanation. Oh, it's crazy. It says she, where is this taken?
A group dedicated to the advancing social, political, and econ. So there is a couple of groups that are coming out against her, right? Yeah. Dude. The OCA. A group dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans. They're upset. There it is. Now, wait a second. Now, wait a second. Are they going to be upset with the Asian friend standing next to her that obviously is probably going to say, it's okay. Like, you know, it's a joke. We're all messing around. It doesn't make it okay. It doesn't matter who's there. Because it might be a joke to them. Well, that means that we can't make it. But there's some people that still might take it back. We can't make Mexican jokes about me, right? I mean, I'm okay with it. But there might be Mexicans who don't think it's funny and don't think it's funny, period. You remember when Ted Danson was in blackface? Yeah. But it was okay because Whoopi Goldberg was there and was okay with it. It'd be one thing if him and Whoopi walked out there together. I think it would have been. They did. They did, yeah. I thought he walked out by himself.
What's that place called? Shriner. Yeah, no. Friar? The Friar's Club? Friar's Club, yeah. And they walked out together? I believe so. I don't think they did. I thought the reason that it was so bad is because they were dating at the time, and he walked out. You didn't know that, dude? What? Whoopi Goldberg and Ted Danson used to be an item. Oh, yeah, big time. Yeah. What? Yeah, I just threw up a little bit now. Oh, my gosh. Thank you for sharing. Oh, it feels better now. You threw up? Yeah, well, the doctor has me. Because of the Ted Danson thing? Yeah. Sky, it's not that big a deal. Sky, that is offensive. Why? It's not that big a deal. Yeah. Are you okay? Yeah. The doctor has me on a bunch of pills because of my spider bites. Maybe I just didn't take. Skyder bites. They're skyder bites. Maybe I didn't take enough food with them. I don't know. But I feel better now. Are you all right? Yeah. And now I feel better. Oh, my gosh. Okay. Yeah, Eddie, the picture. The pictures that I'm getting of dancing in blackface, he's all by himself. He's not with Whoopi. I could have seen these. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How did this all happen? Oh, jeez, Rob. Like 40 years ago. Did you just wake up from a coma? I'm not 40. How dare you? First of all, how dare you for making such a well-timed joke? He's a good-looking guy, though, right? You're such a jerk. You're so stupid. Guy's on Cheers. That's why he's saying it. 570-1053.
Does it make it better? Now, that means if what Ashley, if what you're saying is true, that means I can't make any Mexican jokes about myself because some people may be offended by it. Or Eddie can't make a Mexican joke about me because people be offended. But you've got to get the context. You can, but it doesn't mean that everybody is going to be okay with it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's all I'm saying. You can be whatever you want. I mean, there's Asian people that will see this picture and be like, whatever. But there are Asian people who will see this and go, wow, that's highly offensive. I get a weird theory on this. There's groups that are upset. Because everyone's making that face, and the one Asian guy's kind of doing that open mouth, like, oh, wow. I think this was just a goofy photo that they were all playing around. They were all in on. This is your theory, huh? That is a crazy theory, Rob. It's a crazy theory. He's saying they're having a good time. Aren't some people out there saying that, you know, No matter, like, she's, yeah, yeah, like, she's making fun of him? No. No one's saying that. They're just saying the picture is offensive. They're just saying it's offensive that they're making that face. Yeah, you know. The guy standing there, to me, makes it all good. Just like me. Oh, so you think it's all good? I don't think it's, I'll tell you what I don't think it is. I don't think it's racist. And I'll tell you why I don't think it's racist. Because racism, to me, implies hatred. Yeah.
And, you know, like I'm good with a Mexican joke about me if it's not done hatefully. If some guy calls and says, you dirty blah, blah, blah, and you're using racial slurs against me, that's hateful. But if a guy calls me and he's like, hey, Mikey, and he's making a joke and he throws a burrito line in there. You fell out of a burrito. Hello. That's hysterical. So if the Asian guy wasn't in the picture, would your feelings change? Yes, absolutely. Really? Absolutely. See, and to me, there's no difference. It's like Eddie. It's inappropriate either way. Sky, it's like if Eddie makes a Mexican joke to me, with me, whatever, okay? Or somebody tapes him in a bathroom making some. joke about mexicans it sounds like you're even though it's the same exact joke i was the same exact joke i think that you question then there's a question like is this person malicious or is this person like if he's doing it with me you know he's not malicious because then well there's a difference in general if you're talking about something to somebody's face or doing it behind their back
Yes. And that's the whole concept. Yes. That's the concept. It's like if you do something behind somebody's back, there is some kind of hate or something that's it's definitely implied. It's definitely implied. And I can tell you, like, I don't I'm not racist and I make jokes all the time about, you know, and maybe it's just that at this point I haven't discovered that, man, you just can't do that no matter what. But I grew up making jokes about me being something specific for me. about this particular thing she's doing. Like, for Asian people, I know that this is a very offensive thing. And so there's something about this particular thing that bothers me. You know what I would be bothered about? And I mean, I'm not. I'm making an argument for. What I might be bothered about is whoever the friend is, the Asian friend, I might go, dude. thanks for being okay with that because you know what you're doing you're making it okay and right now i don't feel that way yeah you're making that you know that stereotype you're making that joke okay by being okay with it and you shouldn't you should make it so that you know you should educate or you should you know but i guess like i said it to me it's all about like what's in your heart is there maliciousness yeah
Or is there hatred? Is there genuine racism? Or are you able to sort of laugh at yourself and be self-deprecating? I think maybe the best thing that could happen is that somebody tells these young kids, like, hey, guys, I know you think this is funny, but there's a history behind this, and actually that's not cool. Not appropriate. Now, why is that okay? are not okay, but us doing our stuff is okay. Again, I don't think it would be okay if we were on here telling certain black jokes or certain words that we use if we were making Mexican jokes. Some of that's not okay. And to me, there's something about this symbolism that is not okay. And if you're just tuning in, they're pulling their eyes, they're pulling the side of their eyes to make slanty eyes. And in the photograph is a friend of hers who's like in the photograph standing right next to them all. He's Asian. And I think the other difference with us and this photo is, you know, we're kind of in that comedy light anyways. And people know that, you know, we have no kind of hatred or anything in our heart. You know, we're just trying to get a laugh and we're doing it out of fun. And if anyone does get hurt, you know, we're automatically, you know, trying to, you know, apologize for that.
With a photo, you can't see, you know, there's no, it could say a thousand words to somebody, you know? There's no light that it's coming in. To kind of, you know, to kind of further that point, she's not a comedian. Yeah. She's a singer. Exactly. Maybe that has something. If Nick DiPaolo was in that picture, then you'd be going, oh, there was something there, you know, or there's got to be some. Nick DiPaolo? Nick DiPaolo. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or Gallagher. Yeah, for sure. Margaret Cho. Margaret Cho. Well, wait, that was actually, no, that one would be. That wouldn't make sense. People and Kroc. Oh, okay. Kroc. I have a question. So we're saying that anybody that slants their eyes and pulls their eyes back is being racist. When has that become a racist? Why can't she just be a kid being silly? Back, you know, there's been a lot of stuff back in the day. Like, remember when Jerry Lewis. Was portraying Asians in like a funny way. Several characters. Does that mean she's racist? Wait, wait, wait. Say that again. The kid being silly. Wait, wait, wait. Say that again, Croc, because you kind of cut off there. I said my seven-year-old does that all the time with her eyes. My kids do it all the time. Does that mean they're being racist? They don't know what racism is. I have a question. Now, when they do it, are they doing it to make fun of Asians?
No, but that's what I'm saying. Does Miley Cyrus have a sign overhead? Is she wearing a T-shirt that says, look, I'm making fun of an Asian? No, no, no. But let me describe the picture and then you'll get a better picture of it. You'll understand what's going on. There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven kids in the photograph. And one, two, three, four, five, six of them are making the Asian eyes. And they're with... their Asian friend. So that means they're making... Oh, no. So that means what? They can't just be being silly, taking a silly picture. Well, I think in the context, you sort of, you know, with the Asian friend, and even without the Asian friend, I think you get the context. It's everyone else's fault that we are saying that anyone that plants their eyes is making fun of Asians. If I see a five-year-old doing it, a five-year-old is just making faces. They don't know any better. But I think once you get past... 14 years old. I'm just picking a number. Yeah, maybe 12 years old. You know what that means. You know what you're doing. They know what they're doing. It may not be hateful. Right. But it's inappropriate. But they know that they're mocking Asian people. How about this word? Insensitive. Absolutely. Yes. To some, absolutely. Insensitive. Yeah. And I don't know. I think I have to agree, Kroc, in that I think that people...
even kids, they are, you know, they're doing something to mock Asians. They know that. They're not stupid. No question. They're not doing it just because, you know, they're not doing it like they're grabbing their earlobes and pulling their earlobes to be silly. Right, that's the little kid. You know, they're not being silly when they pull their eyes back to do, to imitate an Asian. They're, of course they're doing an Asian thing. But, I don't know. 570-1053. P1 Tom. Tom, are you there? P1 Greaseball. 570-1053. P1 Nicole. Hi, Mikey. What's up? Well, first, let me send a shout out to my man, B-Rob. Yo. You know it. Shout out. There you go. Hello. Okay. Well, I think it's so ridiculous the amount of energy spent on people making... faces, even if they were slanting their eyes back, it's obviously, like, you hit it right on the head. They're not trying to be hateful. They're, like, taking a photo, everybody, like, as friends. It's not something malicious, but we just spend so much time and energy on people getting offended over little people. Oh, this really bothers me. It really bothers me because if you're... Ma'am, are you Asian?
No. Okay, then you have no idea what Asian people have gone through or what they feel or what they're sensitive to. And it really bothers me that some white chick is calling up and saying, oh, really, you know, they're spending way too much time on this. You're not Asian. You don't know if it bothers you or not. Well, first of all, I'm not white. My family's Arabic, and I hear comments all the time. Okay, well, then if somebody was making fun of your family member, is that okay? But it depends on their intent. And doesn't it also depend... Yeah, I'm a white guy. Doesn't it also depend... Doesn't it also depend... Does the fact that they've got an Asian friend there with them that is okay with it, that they don't have... Well, I think... Wait, wait, wait. And what about this? What about this, too? What about this point? And this is where it's kind of like, man, if you're Miley Cyrus or if you're... Or if you're Michael Phelps, you've got to be careful. And that is if these were if these were kids that were having fun with their Asian friend and they're going to post these pictures with the Asian friend on their Facebook or their MySpace or whatever. OK, this is the whole world seeing it. And Miley Cyrus is a role model. And some people are hurt by it. Some people are offended by it. Some people are find it insensitive. So that could be with any joke. Some people don't like any joke.
That's true. Everybody in their own ways, there's going to be somebody who doesn't like anything. That's true, too, right? I mean, when we do Tyrone and Tortilla, aren't there going to be some people that are listening to it that go, hey, I'm a black guy. I don't really like that you do a black voice. Yeah, why do you do that voice with Ramsey? Yeah, yeah. Why do you do that voice with Ramsey? Isn't that racist? And you're not black. And you guys doing that Ramsey voice. You're not black. You've never done this before. You don't know what black people have gone through to have to hear the N-word and all this different stuff. Maybe, but I think that it has everything to do with intent. Exactly. So for Eddie to say, well, I don't want some white chick calling in talking about there's too much energy. There's people that will get offended with what you do. I'm not saying there isn't. I never said there isn't. My point is that people will be offended no matter what it is. But you have to understand that Miley is exactly what Mikey said, a role model, and she's got millions of fans, millions. You've got to assume a lot of them are Asian. You've got to assume a lot of them are little girls who are Asian. And what if that really hurts their feelings? What if they think and they don't understand and they think that Miley's making fun of them? That's what my whole angle is. Check it out.
What if there's a little girl, a little Asian girl, who gets made fun of in that way at school? In a bad way. In a bad way. She's going to look at the picture of Miley Cyrus and be like, why does Miley Cyrus think the way I look is funny? Exactly. Why do her and her friends sit around and think what I see in the mirror every morning is a joke? And that's a possibility. And that breaks my heart. And that's a possibility. And that's where I can see that it would be messed up. You know what? I didn't even think of that aspect, and I like that you made that point about why does how I look mean that it's funny or why is the way I look funny? So I understand that for children, and I know that she's young. I'm more of the point of an adult where if... People are making fun. I think it's just the principle of it. But she's not an adult. Her fans aren't really adults. No, and I think, you know, what this comes back to, it comes back to that whole thing of, man, the people that are celebrities that are in the position of being role models, they just got to be careful. Yeah. I mean, imagine if we lived in a camera phone instant world.
20 years ago with Madonna and with all the, I mean, you know what I mean? Like with the crazy, you know, guys from back in the night. Mike Tyson did not exist during a period of time in the height of his craziness where there was cameras on your phone and where there was instant, there was no YouTube back in the early 90s. There's a lot of guys that you could probably think of that you go, oh man, it probably would have been crazy. And that we're in positions of being role models. I don't know that Tyson really was a role model, but I don't know. He was mine. He was. Maybe he was. I don't know. Maybe it's the same. For me, there's just like certain... racial lines that I just don't think are crossable. And for me, and maybe it's just me, that's one of them. You would never catch me walking around slanting my eyes and being like, oh, look at me. I'm so funny looking. I would never do that. I would never put blackface on my face. I wouldn't do these things. Maybe it's just me. I would never do those things. P1, I can't feel my face. Hey, guys. How's it going? Good, man. What's up? Nothing. I was just calling about the Miley Cyrus deal. Yeah, dude.
I think it just comes down to it, just being, you know, friends goofing around. I mean, I graduated high school not too long ago, and, I mean, I have my group of friends, and we're all multiracial, and, you know, we had the Filipinos that we made fun of, we had the white guys that we made fun of, we had the black guys that we made fun of, you know, and me and one of my closest friends, actually, we were comfortable, I was comfortable with him calling me a beaner, and he was comfortable with me calling him the N-word, but there's a specific reason for that. I mean, me and him grew up in, he grew up in, in a pretty girl. Well, that's cool. That's cool for your group of friends. But what if somebody who's not one of your friends hears you say that? Oh, yeah. That's the point. Miley's on it. Miley's on you. You were in a like a local. That was a local setting. And Miley's in a world setting. You know, the world sees it. That's true. I understand that. Yeah. I mean, I think I think when you're with your friends, I mean, you don't really think about. who's going to be offended and who's going to take what offense. But when you're Miley, you should be thinking about that at all times. Unfortunately, that's part of her job. She's posing for a picture. How do you not think to yourself, oh, well, this could get out. I probably shouldn't do this. P1 Ground and Pound is an Asian guy. Yes, I am. What do you think, man? Well, the thing is, is I just heard I can't feel my face. And what bothers me is would you do the same thing in front of their parents? So that's my big question. All these wonderful things that you're doing.
would you do it in front of their parents or do they have the right to be offended? That's a great point. And I think that you kind of, but does this question come up too? How much of kid goofing around is stuff that would be done in front of the parents? Yeah, that's where you got to bring that question then. Like 90% of the stuff that they're going to be doing, would they do it in front of the parents? And by the way, that 90%... Isn't necessarily malicious. No, it's kid. It's just kids. It's kids. You notice the kid on the far right. I don't know who he is. I don't know if he's of age, but he's got a glass of wine. You don't know that his name is Pauly. I don't. I don't even have the. I'm going to be honest. I mean, that kid's got a glass of wine. Can I just bring up the one guy? Well, that's what it looks like. It could be. Oh, yeah. I'm sure it's grape juice. I don't know. How many times have you seen like a parent like cuff a kid on the back of the head for doing something stupid? I know I've had that done. And I've accidentally used the N-word in family situations. And I got smacked and hard. Oh, really? It was a learning situation. Yeah. And the same thing goes around. It's just, I mean, yes, you can go ahead and do it all you want. But the situation is, yes, you're being a fool. You're acting a fool. Look at the guy who's smoking pot. You know, he's acting a fool. I'm black and I'm proud. Amen. But you have to pay for it. That's right. So I just wanted to share that with you guys because...
The one thing that offended me was the people that were not Asian or didn't get it and going, how dare you be offended? I can be offended to whatever I do. Absolutely. Yeah, everyone can get offended for whatever they want. If someone does the Asian eyes to my kid, I mean, I would get offended, but I'd tell them to stand above it. But the thing is, it'd be like, how many other parents wouldn't say that? Just take it, oh, just eat it, just do it. But the thing is that you don't have to. Not today. Does it make it different for you that the Asian friend is in the picture? And how do you feel about the Asian friend being okay with it? In the Asian friend being in the picture, it doesn't offend me. The picture doesn't offend me. The situation doesn't offend me. What offends me is people out there saying that other people don't have the right to say, hey, man, that's tacky. Sure. Sure. I agree with that 100%. I mean, listen, because you hear me say a million times, if your feelings are hurt, you own that, man. That's yours. Well, the thing is, if I sit there and I call my friend Egg Roll, Now, what do I do about thinking that's funny? What do I do with that? Because I find that funny. And is that wrong for me to find that funny? Absolutely not. It is friends doing that. And the thing is that it depends on how you choose. What is the difference between egg roll and egg roll?
The eyes. What is the difference? Again, for me, doing that slanty eyes thing has a hateful message behind it. I know these people didn't think about it like that. Do you think they hate that Asian guy in that picture? No, no, no. When people used to do that, it was like a hateful thing. Like they're mocking the way that Asian people look like. And that bothers me. I think I get what you're saying. You can jointly use the word beaner. You can sit there and go beaner. If I said being around some of my Mexican friends, man, would I get smacked? Yeah, I think I get what you're saying. And I appreciate the phone call, Ground and Pound. Appreciate it. But, Eddie, I think I get what you're saying. Like, it's like this. Like, they may not have hate in their heart, but that don't make it right. But that don't make it right because there are still people you have to recognize that there are certain things. That are just going to hurt some people. Right. There are certain gestures and certain words that carry more weight. Absolutely. Absolutely. Like we can do the Tyrone and Tortilla voices. We're having a fun time. But if you use a really disgusting term that is not right, people aren't going to like that. Right. Then it becomes not funny to a good amount of people. Not funny. Not funny. Wait, Terry Bradshaw, are you sure? Not funny. Don't just say that it isn't.
Okay. Miley. You sure you don't want to think about it? You sure? I mean, I listen six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on the station. Now we got you guys on every morning and stuff like that. Home of the P1s and stuff like that. I guess the Chargers are trying to be the Bengals West. Another Charger has been arrested for a DUI. And it is a big name.
Jamal Williams, who is one of the defensive stalwarts on the team. He's real good. He's been arrested on suspicion of DOI. He's another player. Dante, he used to be on the Patriots. He was arrested early Sunday morning, apparently about 1.30 in the morning. That's brutal. On the 94. Where is the 94? East. South of the eight, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's out by downtown, right? It goes to downtown all the way down to the down south. Yeah. So, but, yeah. That's a bummer. Not good. So, hopefully, you know, Jamal will... Vincent Jackson, Jamal Williams, all within about a month's time. A couple of months, yeah. It's a bummer, man. Not good. Tests have shown that Roger Clemens' DNA is in syringes that for his former personal... Her trainer says he used to inject the pitcher with performance-enhancing drugs. Oh, my gosh. Roger Clemens, I mean, I don't think he's got much more legs to stand on now. That's bad. Because they actually found his blood in the syringes. Uh-oh. And so what is he going to say now? Right. If you're Roger Clemens, do you just stay quiet or do you come out and say, okay, I did it? I mean, it's obvious I did it and I'm sorry. If I were Roger.
And I was trying to get away with it. I would say, yeah, the guy injected me with B12 shots and vitamins and things like that. So, yeah, of course he has my blood in his syringes. And then maybe he put, you know, the performance enhancing drugs in after the fact. To try to sell a story. Yeah. Because Roger ain't ever going to come clean. Kobe Bryant set a Madison Square Garden record last night, scoring 61 points against the Knicks. The Lakers are in a little bit of trouble, though. They lost their center, Andrew Bynum, for 8 to 12 weeks with a torn MCL. Got some word out about the Padres sale. Looks like it could go through as early as this month. Okay, if that happens, do you think the Padres become active in the free agent market? No, probably not this year. Really? Yeah, I don't think so. So this year is like... It's a wash. That sucks. Yeah, you might as well just... Bummer. Yeah. Scrap this year. That would be great. Pittsburgh is going to honor the Steelers with a huge parade today. They're expecting a crowd of over 250,000 people. And Santonio Holmes is the game's MVP. If you remember, the play right before he caught the winning touchdown pass, he dropped the ball in the end zone. And so they asked him what was going through his mind after that play happened. I definitely lost the Super Bowl for us. I didn't want to go down to history as that guy.
you know, that missed that game-winning touchdown. And I was hoping we got another chance, but I didn't think in the million years that we were definitely going to call another play, you know, where I had a chance to make a play. Yeah, you didn't go down as the guy that ruined it. No, you were the MVP. Yes, you went down in a pretty good fashion. So I got a question for you guys. Yeah? Do you guys think that that was the best Super Bowl of all time? That's a great question. No. That is a great question. You don't even need to think about it? Rob doesn't get a vote in this release. The first Patriots win. Oh, okay. Well. It was an exciting game. Is that the one against the Rams? Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Was it? Yeah. It was a good game. Some say last year's Super Bowl was the best of all time. It's pretty good. No way. One of the worst. It's pretty good. It was a lot of drama, a lot of the coming back. I like when it comes down to the very end. That's cool. This was one of the best, man. I would put it in my top five. I wouldn't say it was the best. My favorite Super Bowl of all time was the Patriots-Eagles. Rob, will you? No, it wasn't the Patriots. I'm guessing. I don't know. Yeah, but all your guesses are going to be the Patriots. We know that. No, what about the Panthers in the Patriots? Oh, yeah, I see what I'm doing. I see what I'm doing. I see what I'm doing. Oh, man. What you are doing. Oh, boy. Mine was the 49ers-Bangles when Joe Montana hit John Taylor back at the end zone.
Last second touchdown. Eddie, do you know that I never got to see that Super Bowl? I was a DJ. I was a DJ that Sunday working at a country station called K-Cub. K-Cub. K-Cub. K-Cub. That's right. K-Cub. I think that was 19. And I hope you got that Space Boy. Space Boy jotting down the call letters. It's K-C-U-B Tucson. Yeah. I was actually in San Francisco when that happened, and we were, like, celebrating in the streets, and it was crazy. It was awesome. That's rad. Yeah, that was my favorite. We had a very different experience for that Super Bowl. Yeah, a little bit. You weren't at K-Cub? I was not at K-Cub. Oh, that's weird. And I was not celebrating in the streets. I was playing Conway Twitty. Oh, wow. I believe I was playing Conway Twitty records. That's almost just as good as mine. Yeah, it's almost a identical experience. That's really interchangeable. P1, Greg, what was your favorite? Greg, you there? Yeah. Which was your favorite Super Bowl? Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers. Was that the one in San Diego? Yep. Yep. It's a pretty good Super Bowl. That was a good Super Bowl. Is that the one where Brett Favre was diving into the end zone and somebody hit him and he spun around? It was Elway, yeah. And he spun around? Elway. That was awesome. The windmill? Yes, dude. That was awesome. Unbelievable play. No Cowboy Super Bowl is on my list.
I hate them. Wasn't there one with the Niners or no? No, they're in the same division. Oh. Well, the hubby watched some Niner Super Bowl the other night, you know, when they replay like classic games. And I thought it was the Cowboys. It could have been a championship game. They played a championship game a lot. Yeah. Why watch old games? All right. Anyway. Anyway. I liked the 49ers. killing the San Diego Chargers. Oh, my. Back in 1994. That's just hurtful. I did. I mean, it was a... But that doesn't rank up there as, like, a great game. That wasn't really a great game. It was a blowout. Yeah. It was a blowout. I don't know, man. Really good. Super Bowl III was one of my favorites. What are you talking about? You don't even know what that is. How dare you. Come on. You weren't born yet. Come on. That's rude. Oh, no. Maybe you're rude. P1 Pringles is on the line. Can't have just one of him. Hey, dude, are you there? Yeah. What was a great Super Bowl? It was the last one that just played. Wait a minute. The Steelers? The Steelers Cardinals? The Steelers Cardinals. I thought that was amazing. Wow. It was a great game. It was a great game.
I sure wish it had ended differently. Now, if the Cardinals win that game, is that your favorite Super Bowl? Absolutely. Really? Dude, you know what I was concerned about? I can't believe this. Let me tell you. Let me tell you what I was concerned about. I had a couple of friends over there, and I was concerned that I might get emotional during speeches. You're very concerned about crying. You're cute. You don't have to say it that way. You don't have to say it that way. Like Rachmaninoff. It's not necessary. Yeah. What if they would have... If Kurt Warner's up there accepting the game's MVP and Rachmaninoff is playing... You're such a... Dude, you would have been... A mess. Listen. I would have been a mess. I would have been an absolute mess. Oh, Mike. Well, when they won the NFC Championship... Yeah. I got goosebumps when they were giving their speeches. All the confetti going off. Dude, it was so crazy. And Adrian Wilson talking about what the experience was like and the tear. It was almost like the wrestler. Have you ever seen a guy play a game until you've seen me? Can we take this beginning part off of this song? What? Did you like the end of the wrestler, Eddie?
It's very abrupt. It's very abrupt. But I get why they did that. I mean, where are you going to go from that point, you know? I want to know more. What do you think? Is it a sequel? I think there might be a sequel. I thought it was ridiculous that they had a black dude play the Ayatollah as his main competitor. I agree. That was dumb. I think they did that to show that it's so, you know, it's so not real that they'll get a black guy to play a... Iraqi. The Ayatollah. The Ayatollah. Iranian. Former wrestler Ernest the Cat Miller. Thank you. What are you even saying? Oh, my. Thank you. Okay. Hey, P1 Danny. Danny, are you there? Come in, Danny. Oh, wait. No, wait. You're on the wrong. I'm on. You know, if Rob hadn't said that, nobody would have known. Everyone would have known. Nobody would. You're on the. Hey, Mike, you totally screwed up there, buddy. Hey, buddy. You're on the wrong. You're a mess. P1 Danny. Hey, how's he on? How you doing? Pretty good. Just the greatest Super Bowl ever. It has to be the Titans and the Rams. Is that the one where he stretched? Yeah. He stretched. Came down to that one yard. One yard. One yard. He was a yard short. They would have won the Super Bowl. Stretched out. Putting the ball. Trying to get the ball over the goal line. Didn't make it. One yard short. One yard short. Heartbreaking. But I don't have this affinity.
For that game for some reason. I was not that invested in that game. There's nothing. I couldn't care less about the Titans at that time. The Rams were that greatest show on turf, and blech, I hated them because they were in the 49ers division. Hey, thanks for the call, man. No problem, baby. You're wrong. You won Aaron. Hi. What do you think? I like the one where the Chargers are going to win it next year. Oh, I like that too. On a side note, you know. My girlfriend's a hardcore Steeler fan, and I'm a Charger fan, so I'm riding around in her Steeler car. But I think this year was pretty good. It was. I've been watching football a lot. It was good. But this year was probably one of the greatest games I've seen, you know, just in the Super Bowl. Did you like it better than last year's Super Bowl? Everybody says what's-his-name's catch was in the back of the end zone was, you know, pretty amazing, you know. I'd say it was probably one of the best Super Bowl catches, whereas the other guy where he catches it on the helmet last year, that was probably one of the best plays. I thought that was lucky. Yeah. Hey, dude, thanks for the call, man. No problem. I just, you know, when he said that right now, I just thought to myself, I was trying to imagine what the moment would be like if the Chargers won a Super Bowl. I can't even. I can't. Can I tell you something I thought yesterday? I was thinking to myself.
I wonder if I would be able to be in the parade. If they would let the broadcast team in the parade. You mean down the official? I remember back in 94 when they had the parade down. Why wouldn't they? You're on the broadcast team. That's what I was thinking about. I was thinking about that driving home. Would I have been able to be in the parade? That is stupid, Teddy. He can, right? Back in 94 when they had the parade, they had the broadcast team. Would you wave to me? I'd spit in your general direction. I would not. You would wear a T-shirt that said, I love Sky. I think that's stupid crazy that you would be a part of like that. That's insane. That's different. That's an insane thought. So try to imagine. Well, it didn't come out nice. Well, you're mean. So try to imagine, try to imagine, you know, you're looking at Philip Rivers and he's standing up on a podium. I can't do this. And Terry Bradshaw is with him with his arm around him. And Phillip Rivers is wearing a white T-shirt that says San Diego Chargers Super Bowl XLIII champions with a ring on it. LT. LT's standing next to him. LT is hugging Norv Turner. Dean Spanos up there. Norv Turner is soaking wet and he's got an orange white soaked shirt because they poured Gatorade on him.
And they're talking to Phillip. And they're asking him, Phillip is giving this speech. He's like, I can't believe we did this. And I always knew it'd be great. And then he's done. All the fans of San Diego. This one's for you guys. You waited a long time for this. And he holds up the Lombardi trophy. What would that look? What would that feel like? Do you realize how many people would be at the airport waiting for them? Or at the stadium? I have chills in my head. I can't do this. I've had face chills. Shut your... Eddie, let's go in there. Rock 105.3. Most of our freeways are looking pretty good right now. However, northbound 5, still just a mess here. It backs up out of Mission Bay from before Balboa up to an exit clearing near Genesee that caused a major part of that backup. And that's affecting the westbound 52 just trying to get to the 5 freeway. That's got bumper-to-bumper traffic coming out of Kearney Mesa underneath the 805 through San Clemente Canyon. 805 northbound, that's not too bad. Just a minor delay heading up out of Kearney Mesa over that 52. The rest of our freeways are up to speed, looking pretty good. The border waits down to about an hour and a half now at San Ysidro. I'm Rick Lawrence, and Rockwood 053. Hey, check it out. P1 Talon is on the line. Talon, you there? Yeah, good morning, Mike. Good morning, dude. You called AIS, right? Yeah, about three years ago. And? And they saved me about $2,000 at that time a year. And recently they just got me a new company that saved me an additional $320.
$320 off what they had already saved you? Yeah. So what did they save you the first time three years ago? $2,000, switching from my previous insurance company. So they've now saved you $2,320? Yes. Dude, that's fantastic. Okay, let me give people the number. 1-800-777-4AIS. 1-800-777-4AIS. If you want to save money like Talon did, give him a call. Talon, thank you for calling, man. No problem, Mike. Appreciate it. That's the kind of savings you could have. 1-800-777-4AIS. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love it. Sky. I'm a control freak. Boston Rob. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Ladies and gentlemen, it is...
9-21, I want you to mark the time because that is the time that Skye on February the 3rd, 2009 is about to tell everybody the story that she had. You are dramatic. Provocatively. About Barack Obama. Oh, come on. Yeah, come on. Ew. Really? Yeah, come on. And why are you saying ew? Burn. How dare you? She's not sexy. I think she's referring to me. I think she's referring to me. Boom. Roasted. He is very funny, boozy. Okay, it's not as provocative as Mike is making it out to be. Well, first of all, can we establish that Barack Obama, he's not like... Handsome. He's not handsome. He's handsome. No, he's a dynamic person. He's a dynamic person, but he's not like a real good looking guy. If he wasn't the president, nobody would have been looked twice at that time. He's like John Mayer. You know what I mean? Like if John Mayer wasn't writing all these love songs, women wouldn't be all like, oh, I love John Mayer so much. But John Mayer is not...
I think that a lot of girls would think that John Mayer's good looking, wouldn't they? I think they'd think he was okay if he wasn't, you know, a songwriter. John Mayer's better looking than Brock. With those goofy ears. Yeah. Sky. Come on, Sky. Because he's black. Please. Because he's black. Thank you. Somebody needed to be able to stand up and say what we're thinking here. I'm black and I'm proud. There you go. Okay. All right. So here's my dream. Here is how it goes down. So you know how sometimes you just know things in dreams? Like they don't need to be spoken. Eddie, don't shake your head no at me. You know what I'm talking about. Like you know things, you interpret things, but they're not specifically said. Right. Well. Hey, check it out. Sorry. Sorry. So I. Wait, wait, wait. We need to. We have to get into this. I'm in Skystream. Okay, so we're all there. It smells like ham. It smells like ham. I am so sorry. I'm about to share. I know. Change. Oh, man. I can be in the sun and not have to wear it. Oh.
It's a dream. How was that too far? That was very nice of you. It's just a dream. I'm loving it. It's only a dream. I'm loving it. I'm addicted to bathhouses. Wait, this is in the dream? Is that real? Get to the dream. I can't figure it out. Now we're kind of in and out. Get to the dream. I love McRib. Okay. So in the dream, I work with... barack obama i believe that i am like his personal assistant in the dream but you don't know but i don't really know but like that's what i'm feeling because i'm going everywhere with him i have this like book and i'm like keeping track of like everything and i believe i'm his personal assistant but we are also very close like personal friends like we're personal friends i'm friends with the family we are extremely close and of course throughout the dream there's
There's some sexual tension. You guys both talk about how inexperienced you are. No. Stop it. Why can't I say anything right? I don't understand what he said that was wrong. Did I say something? It was a compliment. I thought it was a compliment. No, this isn't your dream. This isn't your time. It was a compliment. It was a total compliment. Okay, now we can continue on. Now I'm ready. There you go. So we're really tight. We're friends. I feel like there's something more there. It's definitely established that we're coworkers. And are you married in this dream? I don't think so, but I don't know. Eddie, let's be honest. It doesn't matter. It's a non-issue in this dream, okay? It's just a non-issue. But I know he's married because I'm tight with the family. Oh, how terrible. I'm just saying, bro. This is just how the dream went down, okay? Okay. So after the day's work, we go to his house for dinner with the family. Now, it's weird because in my dream, he's the president. But we go to his house, which is like a ranch style, 70s, really small house. It's not the White House. No, it's just like small house. It's ranch style.
One story, it's kind of like the decoration is kind of outdated. Like some might say maybe a movie set? Like, I don't know, 70s style, outdated. Shut up. I don't know. No, I'm just saying it's an older, small home, okay? Again, don't know why, but this is just what I'm dreaming. Yeah, horrible couch and potted plant. So Michelle is cooking dinner in the kitchen, and I'm playing with the kids. Do you know what she's cooking? No. Oh, yeah, Scott. Hey, heard you guys were having some din-din. Wouldn't the conversation be much more like, you know, red? It'd be like, well, hello, Barack. How are you doing? Fancy meeting you here at your ham dinner. You know what Ham does to me. Whoa, what happened to the music? I thought we were still in the script. You know what Ham does to me. That's part of the thing, you know. You really believe she would say that. Part of what thing? Your thing. Well, this went well. No, it did not. So I don't know where Barack is. I'm assuming he's in the home office, but Michelle's cooking, and I'm sitting at the dinner table. She's cooking and trusting.
Yeah, of course. Well, I'm like a friend of the family. I'm practically family. And I'm sitting at the dinner table, which is this round, like, wood table. Again, like, older, you know, maybe from the 70s or the 80s. And I'm playing with Sasha, who's the little precocious one. This is getting worse. You're disgusting. Come on, this is terrible. And we're playing beauty shop. And so she is playing. She's pretending. She's pretending that she's going to give me a manicure. And she takes this like lotion to squeeze it on my hand. But it's like and so she coats my hand with it. But it's Elmer's glue. And she thinks it's hilarious. She is laughing. She thinks it's so funny. Whatever. And so then I go to the front of the house to wash my hands. And at this point, all hell breaks loose. Okay. Some guy comes knocking on the door. And I don't know how I know this, but he has a gun. Was it John Krasinski? Why John Krasinski? Because I've. She's got a crush on him. I had a dream. I got you. I got you. Yeah. So it's some guy and he has a gun. And I know he's there to kill Barack. He's there to assassinate Barack Obama. And so he's knocking on the door.
Gary. Yeah. And so I go, and I'm hiding in the front. I'm in the front of the house, but everybody else is in the back of the house. Why don't you use your glue hands? Yeah. Super glue hands. Yeah. Glue hands. Gotcha. Yeah. New superhero. And so we're all scared, and the door was one of those doors where it's like a big wood door. Are you in a sticky situation? Call glue hands. Glue hands to the rescue. Glue hands. Glue hands. Glue hands. Skye's rubbing her eyes. She's irritated. So it's a big wood door and then next to it is like a panel of like that old like 70s like yellowed glass that's all kind of like crinkly or whatever. And the gunman breaks in and then Secret Service kills him. And then Obama comes running to me. Can you get to the sex part? There is no sex. Obama comes running to me to make sure I'm okay. Before his family, he comes running to me. You smell what Barack is doing. I think I do. And he embraces me, and we look at each other, and we have quite a moment, and he was just telling me how concerned he was for my safety. This is her provocative dream. I never said it was provocative. I just said that there was something between us.
More than professional. That's crazy. And it's obvious. This is very personal for me. You can tell. You can tell. It really is. Yeah. So we're in love. It's obvious to everyone. You may. I don't even know what to say to this. Listen. It's a homewrecker. No, no, no, you guys. I've heard this through dream analysis that when you dream what she dreamt, you're crazy. That's not true, Mike. That's the truth. I'm not crazy. Skye, that is a whacked out dream lady. Do we have time, Eddie? No. We do not? Oh, we'll see you Tuesday. Oh, it is Tuesday. Oh, it is Tuesday. We'll see you today. No, check it out. Check it out. There's a new scam that is targeting people on Facebook and MySpace. I'll tell you what it is next. Hello? Who's the man? Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. You will find some leftover slowing on the westbound 52, though. That still has a few brake lights to deal with here through San Clemente Canyon getting to the 5 freeway. But still, the westbound 52 affected. Everything else, though, is moving right along. The borderway is down to about an hour and 20 minutes right now at San Ysidro. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood 053.

I have a wife named Rebecca. Eddie. Daddy had some drinks. Sky. You know, because I don't buy dessert, because I shouldn't eat dessert. Boston Rob. I'm a romantic. I can't help that. And Ashley. Wake up. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. The live broadcast. YouTube live from Wembley Stadium. Broadcasted in America. Two in the morning. Makes total sense to me. Let's see. My name is Mike, and I just wanted to introduce myself because maybe some of you don't know. Hi, Mike. I'm the host of the show, and there are five people on the Mikey Show. It's nice to meet you as well. The young lady in the headband is Skye. What up? It's a white headband. I am Mikey. I'm a brown Mikey. What? Yeah, yeah. Hispanic in nature. Oh, man. I didn't know that. You didn't? No, that changes everything. You're basing it on the voice. That's the deal. You're basing it on the voice. I'm out of here.
That's right. And then Eddie is half Italian and half Mexican, just so you know. I'm giving Italian eyes. That's right. I can see it. Italian eyes. Don't take my picture. Ashley is our assistant producer, and today she is sporting a green top. Soaking wet. Let's see the pits, kid. It's bad today. Oh, it's a bad one. Really bad today. Man overboard. It happens. Man overboard. And then Boston Rob is a kid sitting here in the room with us with the word Boston tattooed on his throat. Yeah, what up? Yeah, and the tattoos on his arm. Same guy. That's weird. Actually, that sheepskin jacket looks warm. It is. Inside of it's got the sheepskin. It's real nice, Mike. That's probably why she's so... Maybe she should take that off. It is off. And it's still sweating like that? You guys, if you have Facebook or MySpace, be careful. Grab them both. Oh, look at you. I'm so good. I check my emails. That's how I roll. That's how I roll. Thank you. Let me tell you. Be careful because they're breaking into, you know, your, what do you call it?
They're getting into your accounts. Yeah. And they're doing stuff to you. Yeah, there's a new scam going on right now. I mean, we always know that people are always trying to hack into things. But this scam is kind of different. So this one, they get into your MySpace or your Facebook. And what they do is they then send all your friends. You know, you have friends on these sites. They send all your friends emails or messages, whatever they're called, on the wall, whatever Mike talks about. I don't even know how that works. Does she have to make it seem like it? I don't know. I don't know about this. Like your wall space or comment page or whatever. Skye is the last person in America to be on Facebook. I will not. She's a facist. Yeah, you're a facist. I'm the last holdout. So they will contact your friends through your MySpace or your Facebook and say, hey, you know, this is really embarrassing, but I've really hit some hard times. And, you know, we're really in need of money right now. And anything you could give would really be great. And so they're soliciting people. So they're doing it for me now? Yeah, Rob sends us to all of us almost weekly. Daily.
So if you get that, just make sure it's the right address you're sending it to. So they're warning people about this new scam. You know, if you do get one of these emails from a friend, make sure you call them and actually contact them before, you know, trusting that it's legit before sending a check out or whatever. And they say the best protection to keep your pages safe is change your password often. And also keep an eye out on your sent messages just to make sure nobody's sending messages claiming to be you. I think that's terrible. Yeah, so many scams. It's always kind of intrigued me on who's that person that doesn't double check it, doesn't question it and just goes, I got to send this friend money. I'll tell you, I'll tell you, if you are not expecting that and it's got, it looks like every message you've ever got from them, you know, and if you write them back and you're like, dude, are you sure? Is everything cool? And they communicate with you again, you know? Maybe that's it. And by the way, why are you not on Facebook, Rob? I don't know. I don't know how to do that. I'll set it up for you. Yeah, thank you. Listen, I won't check it, dude. I can't get a hold of you on the phone. I got to text you for everything. Rob, it's pretty cool. It's better than MySpace, like way better than MySpace. I just don't have time to like. Dude, I just connected with a friend of mine, my best friend from elementary school.
How cool is that? He got a hold of me, and he's like, dude, I come to San Diego all the time. Let's hook up. I'm like, absolutely. See, I think that's awesome. Rob, wouldn't you like to, like, elementary school friends that you had or junior high, you know, high school friends? I got them on my MySpace. Like, everybody? Basically. Really? Yeah, well, then you're better than us. You know what's cool about Facebook is that Facebook is really designed to go out there and look for your high school. And for schools and stuff like that, it's really designed to do that. See, like, the thing with, like, my situation is, like, the people I went to high school and stuff, they're still in the same town. Like, I just go home. Yeah, well, me and Mike are, you know, we... We haven't lived in our hometown for years. And, like, we're talking to people that we worked with, you know, back in, like, 93. It's really cool. I mean, I would never talk to those people, you know, otherwise. Like, I had, it was so random, like, my junior high, you know, history teacher, my Facebook me, you know, and he's like, I heard you're in the radio. What's going on? How crazy is that? I used to, like, do videos and, like, perform in his class. And he's like, I always knew you'd, you know, end up there. No. Oh, okay.
She would make videos and stuff. He was my favorite teacher in high school. I never would have spoken to him in my life ever again had he not contacted me on Facebook. I did the same thing. Just found my 8th grade homeroom teacher that I used to imitate. Really? He used to laugh and one year for Halloween I went dressed as him and imitated him. I was really silly. I was super precocious. Class clown over here. So I found him. Yeah. You find all these people that. I'm good, dude. You don't care about anybody? No. I believe her. I believe her. I think that's a true statement. I think that's a true statement. Yeah, I got the boo. I got my cats. I'm good. That depends how much money we're talking about. Yeah. What? Okay. Weird. Mike. I have a couple of questions about Facebook. Can you put any high school in there? Like, for instance, I'm just going to throw one out there. Could I put Harlem High 1994? Could I put that in there? That's ridiculous. Could I put Watts High School? No. Perhaps. Maybe could I do that? Is it possible to? That's hilarious. You know, Mike. I'd love to reconnect. Yes. I once worked for a company called.
The Harlem Globetrotters. Oh, really? Could I reconnect with my old chums? Could I reconnect with old chums that I worked with over at the Harlem Globetrotters? My good friend Curly. Yes, Curly. I love him. I miss you, Curly. I don't know about this guy. That seems sketchy to me. Yeah, well, I don't know what your problem is. I was searching for my old high school roommate, Scatman Crothers. And I couldn't find him. Roman's on Facebook? High school roommate, by the way. You moved down early. She went to a boarding school. Sky, did you hear what Eddie just said? I'm friends with him on MySpace. That's fine. Can't get her to do it. What's so much better about Facebook? It's better. It's cleaner. It's cleaner. It's cleaner. It is. It makes sense when you're on it. It's cleaner. It's not like you're not getting cluttered. Have you not met Rob? I mean, please. And it's not. Clean is not a priority. It's not a bunch of. I might join. I'll tell you what's great about Facebook is that you get in touch with friends as opposed to MySpace, which is just it's the wild, wild west.
That's wild. You know what I mean? See, for me, when I got on MySpace, it was like to get in touch with my friends. So I think I just used MySpace as a Facebook thing. It's a little bit easier way to do it. Does it like break it down by divisions or something? I will bet for you. I will bet for you, Rob. I will bet for you that you will find 30% more people with Facebook than you do MySpace. I know where they are, Mike. Don't you want to say I don't know? There might be a guy you're like, oh, I haven't talked to that guy since sixth grade. I forgot all about him. But not only that. No, I didn't forget about Britsy. I just checked on this Britsy dog. Yeah. You can't just make a friend name. I want to punch you so hard. My boy Chris Brits. Yeah. You're not allowed to call him that. I love MySpace because I have thousands of friends that I never have to talk to. Well, and that's cool. Save that one. And with Facebook, I'd actually have to talk to people. No, no, no. You don't. You don't. That's a beauty. What's the point? I'll tell you the point. The point is, is that Skye, maybe they can get in touch with her. Skye. She doesn't have to reach out. Hang on. You're going to ruin it, Rob. You're no help. Skye. Let's say that your friend Britzy. What about Yoda? Let's say that your friend Britzy. Oh, Britzy's so cool. That you went to high school with. Yeah, great. Let's say.
That you don't necessarily want to talk every day. You don't want to even communicate at all. But. Cool. You are. Accomplishing that right now. You are interested in seeing pictures of her life. Why? Because you're interested. It's interesting to see pictures of people. It is. You're friends. Yeah. You're like a life stalker. I'll give you a for instance. So I should just stalk people on Facebook. I'll give you a for instance. Like I got friends from back east from when Eddie and I lived out in Rochester. Yeah. And I get to see what they're doing now. They're putting pictures on there weekly and I get to see what they're doing now. That was a shot at us because we had mullets back in the 90s. They were awesome. I don't care what anyone says. P1 Holly. Are you there, Holly? I honestly was in the same boat as you. I don't care. I don't go to my reunions. So was I. But it is honestly cool to hear from old friends. And it's not like I talk to them every day, but they just go, hey, what's up? I didn't realize you were on radio. And it's really cool to talk to you. I don't have time for hey, what's up? All right? Please. You don't do anything but correspondence. Yes, I do, too. What do you do? I was at the Senior Center yesterday. Just yesterday. What were you doing? Yoga.
All right. I'm sorry. They don't have yoga at a senior center. Yes, they do. They do, too. It's called reality yoga. Yes, they do. It's called the what? Can we please send a camera in with her? No, I will not violate the trust of that cigarette race. Let's chip in. Let's chip in. Sky money. Let's chip in. Sky money, please. Sky money. It would be disrespectful to the aura. Sky money. Gold. Sky gold. I don't think she heard. Sky money. Stop it. I will show it to you. I will show it to you. Take it out of our wallet and show it to you. Please. Show me that. That is a special time. I will not disrespect you. I'm shocked that I got yelled at like that. P1 Jason, are you there? Yeah. What's up? Hey, I think like single guys are going to more like MySpace because it's easier to pick up chicks on there. So MySpace is more of a strangers meeting strangers. It's a social network where people can hook up. Facebook is more about friends that you know. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. I hook up with people on MySpace right now. I don't need to hook up with friends, too. It's not necessary. Are you MySpace and Obama over there? Yes, as a matter of fact. He just added me.
And I said, hey, thanks for the ad, man. Thank you, Broseph. Oh, my gosh. Clowns. Let's see. A boat with 23 suspected illegal immigrants was seized off Torrey Pines. How that made Rob laugh. Why is that funny? I have no idea. Is that not just the comical aspect? What part? Like, which part? Like, there's a bunch of people in a boat floating by Torrey Pines. If they were in clown suits, maybe. I just, I don't know. To me, there's, like, something funny about it. It's like a rubber boat, and you're like, hey, what is that? Yeah, there's something. Come on. That is weird. You're an embarrassment. Well, yeah, this happened on Monday. Found this boat. I don't know. Did you pull over a boat? I don't know what the term is. Pull over. Pull over the shoulder. Pull over.
Yeah, it had 23 suspected illegal immigrants on board. It was about four miles off of Torrey Pine State Beach just before 4 o'clock in the morning. 19 men, four women. They all were in good condition, all wearing life jackets. Put your hands on the raft. And then on your hips. And then on your hips. And then on your head. And then on your hips. And then on the boat. And then on your hips. And then on the boat. And then on your hips. And then on the boat. And then on your hips. And then about an hour later, they found an abandoned boat up on the beach in the same area that had 21 life preservers found around the boat, life jackets around the boat. So no people, but all the life jackets were left. Ghost illegals. Yeah. Wait, no, they're not ghosts. They probably just took them off and left. Britney can talk to ghost illegals. Britney's illegal whispering again. Starring Michelle Rodriguez.
You are so weird. You are. You are. Maybe you are. Maybe you are. Oh, look. Sky has the Bonnaroo Festival lineup. Oh, no. Not again. That's a true story. I think that when we did Coachella yesterday, that was probably enough. No, you... So excited. Sky enjoys... telling us about... I love these festivals. I wish they weren't far away. She really, really likes telling us about festivals. And the deal is that most of the rest of us on the show, and the majority of you listening, aren't really interested in what's happening. We don't care. The Detroit Music Festival. That was one time, bro. And it was the Detroit Music Awards. Mike, hello. The Canadian dentists are playing this year at Bonnaroo. So, in your face, buddy boy. You think about that? Hamburger Patty's going to be there, Mike. Hello. All right? Hello. Get your groove thing on. Peppermint emails. Oh, hello. Bonnaroo is cool. They're the best. They'll be there. Ghirardelli chocolates. Oh. They're going to be there. You don't know. Wow. So who is going to be there this year, Sky? What's the lineup look like? Well, it's happening this year. Lord of the Snuggies. In Tennessee. Four Foot Fork. Oh, I love them. My favorites.
All right. There's a little something for everybody at Bonnaroo. There's going to be Nine Inch Nails. There's going to be the Beastie Boys, Fish. Where is the Bonnaroo Festival? Fish. Wow. I haven't seen Fish in a while. What are Bonnaroo's going to be there? No. No, that's his nickname. That was an amazing bear trick. It's in Tennessee. Also on the... So for all of you listening right now... It's in Tennessee? People go, dude. It's pretty worldwide, though. This is a big one. It's a big festival. Did they broadcast it then, are you saying, so we can watch it here in San Diego? Absolutely. Then that sounds great. Call me that day. I'll tell you what channel. Bruce Springsteen is going to play this year. We've seen enough of him. Elvis Costello. Al Green. A whole bunch of people. Al Green's alive. That's what it says here. It sounds terrible. Yeah. Whatever. That lineup sounds terrible. Those are all the big names? Maybe you sound terrible. Scott, you would never go to that. Beastie Boys. What about that amazing polyp? Ew. It's their plane. What about the Jackson polyps? That's an art festival, Rob. Oh, man. Ridiculous. I'm so stupid.
You are. You have approximately four hours left to get a free Grand Slam at Denny's. Holy Sarah Long. Let's get out of here. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Denny's is giving away free Grand Slams until 2 o'clock today. But it's dining. You got to sit down. You got to sit down and enjoy. As of this morning, we were talking to people at like 6 a.m. They said lines were wrapped around the building. I wonder. I heard something about rain checks if the line is too long. Really? I don't know if that's true, though. Yeah, I want to hear from people if you're out there. You can get rain checks? Yeah, call us if you're standing up. If you're getting a rain check, pick me up one. I don't think it works that way, Rob. What is the update on your Skyder bites? There it is, Skyder bites. There's pictures of Sky's spider bites. On MikeyShow.com. Cater bites. Well, I went to the doctor yesterday after work, and he basically said he has no idea, really. Oh, okay. Mystery diagnosis, man. I'm telling you. Will you stop?
You're such a clown, Rob. Yeah, he said, you know, obviously my body is having some sort of really bad reaction to these bites. He doesn't know exactly, you know, because some of the symptoms are pretty severe for what you should normally have for a spider bite. So he says he's just going to treat it like it's infected, an infection in my body. So antibiotics, pain pills, and antihistamines. And if I'm not better in a couple days, then he wants me to go back. Ooh, don't mix those into a paste. aches and I threw up. So I don't know. All during the show. All during the show. So yeah, thank you. Thank you. Thank you everyone. Why is the Pearl Jam guitarist having to ask for private bathrooms for himself? Coming up also, we'll be playing P1 Trivia. So if you want to play P1 Trivia, call us right now. Do we have a prize we can give away just for people? We've got to have stuff. Stuff? We always have stuff, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I don't feel like we've given anything away yesterday or today. So I want to give something away. Just for playing, I'll let him do that. And we'll also let him come in the studio, obviously, on Friday. That's what you get for playing P1 Trivia. If you win, you get to come hang out in the studio on Friday with us. You get a backstage pass. You get catered breakfast. You get to hang out in the studio the entire show. And we'll also give you a prize. There's a P1, P1 Mexicutioner, and he's from Carlsbad, and he's going to be fighting tomorrow at the Gladiator Challenge at Palma Casino. Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that MMA? If you're listening. What? I'm supposed to know what the Gladiator Challenge is? If you're listening, Mexicutioner, call in, man. We'd love to talk to you. Why am I supposed to know that? That's pretty cool. Just stop. You just stop. Don't put your expectations on me. Here's the funny thing. Skye is acting this way, but the truth is she has posters of it all over her bedroom. She does. Yep, them executioners, my fave. That's right. She's got posters of him all over the place. Eddie, you were saying that there was really odd little things about The Wrestler, the movie The Wrestler. It's a great movie, and I think that Mickey Rourke is fantastic in it. You made this comment. You said that they put these little things in there. Like, there's this little thing about his name. We won't tell you, but there's this little thing about his name. And it just adds this nuance. Talk about nuance. How about the one-night stand that's into Fireman? Oh, dude. How bizarre. So bizarre. Like, what? That was out of nowhere. Dude. That was so weird. Like, so random, so bizarre, so weird. It's an adult movie.
Guys, this scene is pretty adult. Oh, it's rated X? Yes, Skye. It's rated X. Okay. Well, I haven't seen it. I haven't seen it. I don't know what's going on with you two. I haven't seen it. I don't know what's going on with you two today. I love it. But there's something happening. You guys are just kind of at odds with each other. Today? And boom goes the dynamite. I don't know what's the matter with you two. That's 17 years with this one. 17? Feels like it. Going on 18. You know who I've got to listen to say. So if you think you're in the Nike Morning Show. 570-1053 is our phone number. Give us a call. The way that P1 Trivia works is that you must get to five points. What's up? Not to be outdone by my fellow P1, Philly's Finest, but it's...
The S to the C to the double O-B-Y. Oh, look at that. Oh, man. Okay. Look at that. Scooby's trying to come up with his own thing. Yeah. That's really cool. Oh, man. He wants a deal. I'm sorry, Scooby. Oh, don't you, Jen. I stand behind that at you 100%. Why don't you? I stand behind that at you 100%. Why don't you? I stand behind that at you 100%. Why don't you? I stand behind that at you 100%. Why don't you? I stand behind that at you 100%. Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? Why don't you 100%? How many years have you been listening? How many years have you guys been on? Four. Well, I think I've been listening for six. Okay. Let me show off. Okay. And let's get your competition. Hello. P1 Libby is on the line. No, it's P1. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. If you're sick, you can come in. Are you the host monkey? Yeah, Whoopi. What's the matter, you?
No, no, no, no. This is me talking for the first time this morning, so this is my hello voice. Are you sure that it's not past midnight and you spilled water on you? Oh, my. Are you going to spew pea soup everywhere? Yeah, I mean, what's going on here? Okay, Wubbie, how old are you? I am 39. All right, and how long have you been listening? I've been listening since I moved here, so probably maybe three, four years. What part of town are you living in? I live in Bird Rock. There you go. Oh, excuse us. Is that Hoity Toity? La Jolla. Oh, is it La Jolla? Yeah. There you go. Well, pardon me. Pardon me. Yeah. What do I look like over here? The owner of the Cardinals? I don't know his name. I don't know his name. Go Goodwill. Go Goodwill. It would have been really fun. That's a good one. All right. Let's start with P1 Scoob. Yo. What do you want? A one, two, or three pointer? I'll take a five-pointer, Michael. Yeah, whatever. Get out of here, Scooby. What do you want? All right, let's start with a two. You want a two? Yeah. Uh-oh. I just think it's so easy, but it's down here as a two-pointer. What is Ashley's real name? Sarah Long. Wow. He gave the last name. Whoa. Padau. It is? That is a two-pointer. That's what it is? Well done.
Yeah, ma'am. To me, that seems like a half-pointer, but that's fine. All right, Scoob. You snuck away with two points right there. Whoop. She is the best. What are you going to do? Well, I think I'm going to have to up my stakes and do what a true Steeler fan would do, and that's going to go for the three. Yes. Booyah. Look at you. Look at you. There are some questions on here that I just have to mark off. Listen to this question. This is not a real question, but this is one of the three-pointers down here. How much did Zeth go for in the 28-hour show? Oh, what? I couldn't even give you an estimate. I have no idea. I don't even have a clue. A million? $170, it says. Congratulations. Wow. That's quite a fact. Congratulations. Too soon? Yes. Let's see. This one has been asked as well. All right. Your question, your three-point question is? Zeth. You can't keep blaming things on him. He doesn't work here anymore. Oh, Skye. Too soon, Skye. Who on the show wears mom shorts? Who on the show wears mom shorts? Yes. That would unfortunately be Skye. That is true. That is a correct statement. She looks great. They're not mom shorts. Skye. They are not. You borrowed them from your mom. I did not. Skinner. Yeah. P1 Scooby.
Looks like I got some competition, so I'm going to have to finish her off with a three. You're going to do it with a three-pointer? Oh, mama. Let's see. Your three-point question is... Oof, this is tough. He can handle it. He's Scooby. What's the name of the new game where P1s who work in the trades call in and try to stomp Sky? Oh, you only played it once. That's right. That's true. That's correct. That is a fact. Coming to him. Coming to him. Can you repeat the question, please? I can. I can. Let's go easy. What is the name of the new game where P1s who work in the trades call in and try to stomp Sky? Quimby's in there going, duh. That's tough. It's a tough one. I will give you three seconds. I can't get it. I'm sorry. Wow. Scooby. Sorry about that, Scooby. Shock and awe.
The correct answer is this old sky. Duh. This old sky. It's a hard one. It is a hard one. That's why it was a three-pointer. That's what I'm saying. What'd he get? P1Wubbie, you only need a two-pointer to wrap it up. Then let's do the two points, Mike. All right. Come on, bud. This could be a huge upset. I love this question more than anything. Okay. What dessert order comes before... And that's it. Oh. The dessert order would be the Cherry's Jubilee. All right, Cherry's Jubilee, and that's it. That is correct. Love it. What an upset, ladies and gentlemen. Very well done, ladies and gentlemen. I can't believe it. You are a winner. Where is my name? Do you believe in miracles? Yes. Gooby and Whoopi, you both get to come in. Down goes Scooby. Down goes Scooby. It's just like the Dodgers. And the Raiders. We don't care. Please. We had to put him on hold. That's too bad. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi.
Better than Fitzgerald. Oh. Oh, ouch. That really hurt. What happened? I thought we were just, I thought we were celebrating. Staring you down. I thought we were celebrating. Staring you down. I mean, gosh. Sorry, Ash. That one's done. That was terrible. That one's done. Rob, why did you end that to me? Rob, that was so. I am sorry. Insensitive. He's the best. I know. I mentioned to you guys that the guitar... I love when Eddie gives me the look like... Yes, Mike. What is that? What's going on? And you were saying? The guitarist for Pearl Jam. Mike McCready. Mike McCready, right, Skye? Yep. What is going on with him? He's trying to get a law changed? Well, yeah, he was in Washington late last week and asking lawmakers there to allow businesses to give access to their private restrooms to people who suffer from Crohn's disease. What is that? If you don't know what that is, it's a gastrointestinal disorder that requires immediate access to restrooms. He says that when you have a...
When you get hit with it, you maybe have about half of a second to find out where a bathroom is. What's the difference in using public and private then? Because what if there's a line? What if there's somebody already in there? That's awful. You know what? I think that's really compassionate. Yeah, three states already have a law like that on the book. You would get like a little ID card or carry around a letter from your doctor so you could use this restroom. Let me tell you something. I would vote for I would vote yes for something like that no matter what. But like especially when you consider that we're putting in a high speed railway. Well, that's important. I mean, for goodness sake. I've got to get to San Francisco real fast. You never go to San Francisco. All the time. You never do. You're never going to use this. If you do, you've got to drive to L.A. if you want to take the high-speed railway for crying out loud. You guys don't get it. Mike McCready suffers.
from this disease, and he said, yeah, there was one time when he was in the middle of a guitar solo on stage. Are you serious? With Pearl Jam, and it hit, and he couldn't go anywhere, and he had to go in his pants. No! And then after the song, go offstage and clean up. Oh, dude, that's terrible, man. Can you believe that? Like, that's how bad it is. Dude, if that was a family member of mine, that would kill me. That'd break my heart. Yeah, he said the show must go on. So he had to just go and then after the solo, go off stage and clean up and come back on. That is rock and roll. That is rock and roll. I'm sure that that's not funny. Yes. How did you do that? Wow. That was worth a million points, Rob. That's hot. You did that. Deduct a million points. Wow. I don't know how he did it. That was great. But he somehow pulled that out. That's lame. Turn it right around, man. P1 Mexicutioner is on the line. What's up, bro? What up, what up? Mikey Show. How you guys doing? Good, man. So you're fighting this weekend? No, I'm actually fighting tomorrow night at Gladiator Challenge at Casino Palma. There you go, man. Yeah, dude. What weight division? Heavyweight.
Look at you, dude. Nice. What are you fighting? Doing big things. Look at this guy, Eddie. Look at this guy. Are you the guy in the Facebook picture? Are you the dude throwing the hit? Knocking that guy's chin back? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nice, dude. The good-looking Mexican guy. That's cool. Very modest. What's your record, dude? My record's 5-2 right now. Nice. Nice. You think you need to beat this guy tomorrow? Definitely, definitely. Love it. What are you calling? KO? Yeah, middle of the first round. Wow. Love it. Hey, man, you get nervous before you go in there? Yeah, pretty much. As soon as I step in the cage, it's like pretty much either he's going to kill me or I'm going to kill him type deal. You wear four-ounce gloves or how much those gloves weigh? Yeah, they wear four ounces. Pretty much just to make sure I don't break my hands on the guy's face. Hey, listen, it doesn't matter how good you are. It's got to be nerve-wracking to get into that octagon. Definitely. Absolutely. What's your discipline, man? I started off just wrestling like Greco-Roman and freestyle and then just started flowing into all the other stuff, boxing and muay thai and jiu-jitsu. Yeah, doing a little jits. Nice. A little bit. Nice. What is the best moment you've had in the ring against an opponent? I would say that my favorite moment is actually a part of a crappy moment, but...
Definitely the one I learned the most from is back in May, I was fighting the King of the Cage heavyweight champion, and he got my arm in a Kimura, and I didn't tap, so he snapped my arm. Why is that your favorite? Dude, when it happened, did you hear it? It's my favorite because it looked gangster on TV. You're crazy. I bet. Did you hear it? This is what happened, okay? It popped once, and the first thing went through my head is, all right, how am I going to beat this guy with one arm? And then he wrenched it all the way back up, and that's when the ref stopped it when my arm was bent back the other way. So it didn't break, right? Huh? It didn't break? Oh, no, it broke. Dude. That's awesome. Did it break compound, or how did it break? No, it didn't compound, but it definitely snapped out of place, and then they popped it back into place. That is... You're the man. Yeah. That's not cool. Never tap. Never tap. Dude, you are, you're a manly, you're a manly dude. Good luck tomorrow, bro. Hey, you got a website? You got a website or anything? Yeah, JoeyBeltron.com. That's spelled Joey like normally. Joey. And then E-L-T-R-A-N.com. And also, if I could, I just want to give a shout out. My victory party is going to be at freaking Goose Beachside Grill at Oceanside.
Freaky. It's Mike Russo from Unwritten Law. He's going to be there, so it's going to be pretty sick. Look at this guy. Joey Beltran. Joey Beltran. Good luck, bro. All right, man. Thank you, guys. Don't lose. We're behind you. All right. Later. That's cool. That's awesome. That's cool. That's very cool. I don't really care about Jessica Simpson gaining weight. I'm over it. But apparently the world does because the world keeps talking about it. Yeah. Did you see the people? It's a huge topic. All right. You get it. You get it. Let's see, Sky. Wow. Jessica Simpson debuts her new curvy body. Oh, I got to see that after. So much. She gained a couple of pounds. What's the big deal? I think women love to talk about how she's gained. You know what? I have a theory. Not only do I think that women love talking about that she's gained weight, but they love talking about it in the context of, oh, poor, come on. Give her a breath. Meanwhile, in their heads, they're like, oh. Skye. That's not how I feel. You're not cool. That's not what I think, though. That's not me. I can't believe that. I can't believe Skye I am me that that's how she felt. Yeah. I am that, too. You figured me out. Let me see. I don't see any pictures, Skye. Oh, it's in there. Look for the giant picture. Yeah, it's kind of towards the back. Probably a pull-out. Awful. It's probably a pull-out. Oh, here it is. Awful.
It's the hair that trips me out the most, that she dyed her hair with. No, that's Wynonna. I was like, well, that's... I was going to say, it's probably Merson. He originally made it to you. Okay, fine. That's the wrong picture. So I picked the wrong picture here. My goodness. Oh. Well, first of all, I think that... She has put on a few... Cut her hair. the heaviest guy on Biggest Loser right now. It's a 19-year-old kid. He's a sweetie. Did he get kicked off? They put her all the way in the back of the magazine? That ain't cool. That's gotta hurt. It's like the last page, man. What are you gonna do? What's it called? The look of love? That's brutal. That's so mean. I think she looks beautiful, man. She looks fine. But there's a big difference between what she used to look like and what she looks like now. Let me tell you something, bro. That's all they're saying. That's all they're saying. It's fine. Absolutely. Listen, there's a little chunk of mine going on. But let me tell you something. The only reason it looks bad is because of the poor choice of clothes. It's the worst jeans I've ever seen on a woman in my life. But if she was wearing normal jeans, she'd look probably pretty good. I don't think there's a problem with how she looks.
But there is a huge difference from what she looked like. In comparison. And I think that's the story. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, she's gotten older. That's not what you think. It's at freshman 15. What? What is your freshman of? Life. I don't know. Freshman Prince of Bel-Air. Yeah. Freshman Prince of Bel-Air. I think I'm making a big deal. You're making a big deal. You are. You are. You're the worst. All right. Then why don't we talk about Slumdog Millionaires. I've been dying to talk about that. Well, the Slumdog Millionaire guy that's a big star now because of Slumdog Millionaire is replacing Jesse McCartney in this new M. Night Shyamalan movie. Oh, racism. Racism. Racist. What? Racist. Do you drop the white guy to hire an Indian guy? We get it. Well, Shyamalan had come under fire for all white casting in this movie, The Last Airbender. I guess it's like a Nickelodeon thing and a live action kid thing. Shyamalan's doing a kid movie? Yeah, it's a live action kid movie. Aren't they all though?
It's Eddie's favorite director. You're not supposed to go there. So the whole cast for the movie had been white, and I guess there was some talk about that and how that wasn't cool. I say that about the Mikey show, too. The whole cast is white, and they're just like, you know, what's up with that? So they're not sure if Dev Patel's casting is because... You know, of his race or not. But, yep, Jesse McCartney out. Patel in. I'm black and I'm proud. Fine. He's not black. Yeah, he is. No, he's Indian. Just said it, dude. What was it? Patel. Patel. I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. Then what is it? What's the name? Patel. Patel. Patel. I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. No, no, no. Puffy. Your name used to be Puffy. You just changed it to... Patel. Patel. I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. All right. We got you, bro. Ricky Jervis wrote an open letter to President Obama about Paris Hilton buying a house in London. Of course, Ricky Jervis is on the British version of The Office. He created it, and he's the main writer for it. He's really funny. Yeah.
So the letter says, dear Mr. President, starts off with this, congratulations on your historic win, you're great, all this stuff. And then it goes to say, as I'm sure you are aware, one of your flock has strayed. A Miss Paris Hilton, who is, I believe, a resident of Beverly Hills, is in England doing a reality show called Paris Hilton's British Best Friend. Fine. I have no problem with that. I think Skye had announced that she was going to do that. Says, fine, I have no problem with that. I don't have to watch. But now it has come to my attention that she has bought a house in North London a few miles from me and is out and about in the British public. Mr. President, we are not stupid. This is clearly a retaliatory strike for Posh Spice moving to L.A. I know it and you know it. So let's cut the it's a free country nonsense and come to some sort of agreement. I propose an exchange. Thank you, Ricky. There it is. Thank you, Ricky Jervis. Paris Hilton, or no, Lindsay Lohan threw a tantrum at the airport when she was told she's going to have to sit coach. Who hasn't, though? Yeah. She should. What is coach? That's that show, right? Yeah.
Frankie Nelson, one of my favorites. Yes. I loved him. The bumbling old coach. He was great. All right. So Paris, I mean, Lindsay Lohan, Fox News reported, was boarding a flight from Tampa after the Super Bowl and was annoyed that I guess there weren't any first class seats left. So she was throwing a little hissy fit, and I guess the person she was traveling with, they don't say who it was, but I assume it was her girlfriend, Samantha, had already had a ticket booked on that flight. And so Lindsay Lohan was overheard telling Samantha, quote, you better come visit me back there in case I die. Oh, wow. So she let the friend sit in the first class. Well, they say somehow it eventually got worked out in the last second. So Lindsay Lohan could get a first class seat. Yeah. I think we all would have been really upset. Devastated. 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. So right now is a great time to call us. Want to let you know the entire Mikey show.

I'm just hanging out a little bit. I wanted to call and let you guys know that I heard the podcast. And really, Mike, a Hot Wheel, I mean, we're trying to find a tire. That was Eddie. What are you talking about? You're not making any sense. I have no idea. Really? Really?
Yeah, and Eddie, no, Mike, I'm trying to find a NASCAR on a hot day or something like that. That's right, dude. These are all lines that slip by you. Hotter than NASCAR in Phoenix, by the way. That's right. That's what it was. Thank you. Great line. That's right. Well, what's happening, Ayo? Nothing. I just wanted to comment and say. That was funny. That's all I wanted to say. All right. Well, we love you, Ayo, and we thank you for calling in. All right. Just hanging out like my clothes drying, Mike. Oh, really? Get off me. Oh, no. Oh, no. That's P1 Adam on the line. Hi, Adam. Hi, Mike. How's it going? Good. Hey, you know, it was Groundhog Day yesterday. Oh, really? Really? We did know that. We did know that. Yeah, and if he sees the shadow, you know there's six more weeks of winter. Yes. Well, if he sees Skye's shadow, does that mean he has five seconds to live? Yes. If he sees her shadow, he has five seconds to live. I am not the gopher killer. That's what happens. Oh, I get it. If he sees Skye, you know it's a dead gopher coming. Yep. Yep. Thank you for the call. P1 Milkman's on the line. Hi, Milkman. I love your show. I have a special guest here. He would like to talk to this guy. His name is Thurston Howell III. Okay. I would just like to tell you one thing. Brittany, I'm sorry, not Brittany. Jessica Simpson. P1 Tony is on the line. It's just getting good. Tony, are you there? Yeah, yeah, I'm here. What's up?
I was just wondering if you guys are going to send B-Rob to the Academy Awards and do what you're doing at the Oscars. When is the Academy Awards? I'm going. End of February. End of February? That's actually a pretty good idea. Yeah, I like that a lot. I like that. Rob, get your ticket ready. Okay. What? What are we? Are we like 14? You're ridiculous. You're ridiculous. You're an adult. You're an adult. You're an adult. Oh, hey. Will you focus? Oh, my God. Jeez. I can't focus. Come on. P1 Kitty McMue is on the line. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Hey, what's up, man? Is it okay if I plug my business? You know what, dude? I would like to let you, but if we do that, we got to do it for everybody. And, oh, man. You know what? I'll tell you what. I'll make a new rule. What? And if people want to say they're doing some kind of a benefit or whatever, how about we limit it to one per open phone? So go ahead, man. Go ahead. All right. So, I mean, I'm not doing a benefit, but I'm a licensed general contractor, 25 years in the business. I can build anything. I can fix anything. In fact, I'd like to be your handyman to the stars. There you go. So give me a call, 619-381-7833. There it is, dude. Thank you. Can you build a chicken coop? P1 Optimistic.
Yeah, I'm building one. I'm building one. No, you are not. I'll come over today. I'm doing something different. Let's just pick out the chickens today. Yeah, I'm doing it out of Legos. I think it's going to be really kind of cool and different. What about Lincoln Logs? Optimistic, you there? Yeah, I'm here. What's up, dude? Hey, you guys made a comment saying that you guys want to see the San Diego Chargers go to the Super Bowl again. I have no faith that they will ever go to the Super Bowl. They're not strong enough. So that's the nice thing to say. How dare you, sir? And his name is P1 Optimist? This is P1 Optimist? Oh, that is great. Hello? I'm here. How dare he? You want to know why? Why? It's very simple. Very, very bad words. Two players already got DUI. What next? Coach is going to get fired and we're going to have to get a new one? Are you a Raider fan? No, I'm not a Raider fan. Who do you like? Who do I like? Yeah, what team? Actually, I really don't like football. Oh. Well, then you've got to be unhappy, dude. There's no way you're happy. I mean, there's just no possible way. There's no real good team out there. The team's very per year. What sport do you like? Baseball. Yeah, dude. What team do you support? Just saying. What? Detroit. Are you from San Diego?
Yeah, I am. Born and raised. 29 years. You were born and raised here? Yeah, 29 years. Detroit! This is not a happy man right here. I mean, come on. You guys are from the Bay Area. And? Yeah, and? Loyal to the Giants, which really... We don't like the Giants. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Eddie's an A's fan. I like the Giants. That's right. He's an A's fan. Gross. They're a great team. Hey, dude. Hey, you got your minute and a half. Are you sure? Tomorrow on the show... You guys, tomorrow... We have an exclusive, man. What do you mean? Tomorrow on the show, we're going to interview... What's up? We're going to be interviewing four of the octuplets. Four out of the eight octuplets? Yeah. We're interviewing half the octuplets tomorrow. That is fantastic. Dude, you like... That is huge. Yeah.
I mean, we should press release. Yeah, we should. That's right. So tomorrow we'll be talking to four of the octuplets on the Mikey Show. I'm already peating down here. That's right. The lovely and talented Missy is up next, and she's got the all-request lunch on the nooner today. Make sure you tune in, and we'll talk to you tomorrow morning. Mikey shows up. Love you, man.
