Welcome to the show. It is 6.05. Today is Super Tuesday. They expect 8.9 million Californians to vote today. College basketball's Bobby Knight stuns Texas Tech and retires mid-season. My brother went and saw Michelle Obama speak yesterday in Tucson. And, yeah, he called me right before he went in to see her speak. And then he called me right after he came out and he was so excited. He thinks that he's going to volunteer for Barack's campaign. And he said, I could go out there and give a couple hours holding a sign or something. And I said, wow, brothers. From the same mother. Isn't that interesting? Isn't that the strangest thing? We both feel very differently about what they call the issues. We are on different levels, as Ashley would say, when it comes to certain issues.
Well said. I would like to talk about politics today. What up, what up? I really would. I wouldn't mind. You sure? Yeah? I know. I know what you mean by that, Sean. Are you sure? Because, you know, listen, hot button for everybody. See, politics is interesting to a lot of people because it talks to who you are. What are you about? What do you believe in? And all that stuff. And, you know, we all think we're right. why we're us. We all think we're right. Some of us are right. That's right. The Republicans. And the Dems, they think they're right. I talked to Mark yesterday. I'll tell you what. Mark's my brother, by the way. I'll tell you what. Mostly what I think is, yeah, you know what? Overall, if I had to classify myself, I have to put myself in the conservative Republican category because
On a lot of issues, I just feel very passionately conservative about a lot of issues. About abortion and about... Abortion's probably the biggest one that I feel as passionately as I do. But there's some... The right to gay marriage, something that I feel passionately about. And so... I put myself in the category of conservative Republican. But there are other issues that somebody like Rush Limbaugh or another conservative talk show host would say, you are no conservative. To which I go, oh, okay. All right, that's cool. Because I don't believe that any of us should believe wholesale in any particular ideology.
You should kind of go, well, yeah, I feel this way. This is the way I feel about this. If that's a Democrat thing, so be it. Those are all words that we put. Democrat, Republican. It's all words that we use. Labels like Ashley's boyfriend. That's right. It's a label. It's just a label. But I noticed that you said Ashley's boyfriend. The label of Ashley's boyfriend. I see. We all know it's her significant other. Correct. Well. Eddie, who's your significant other? My wife. I see. Oh, so she's married. Well. She is married. That is. But she does not wear a ring. Oh, congratulations. Which I think is very liberal. Can I ask a question? That's very liberal. That's very liberal. She doesn't wear a ring. Can I ask a question? She's not owned by anybody. May I ask a question? You may, Ashley. Why can't you just leave it alone? Leave what alone? Politics? Because I feel passionately about it. We all do. Leave it alone. The label. Yes. Leave it alone. Wow.
Well, listen. It's hard to, when you're speaking about him, to say, well, he's Ashley's what? We don't know. So, you know, like her man, her beau, her boyfriend, her husband. Listen, Ashley knows where I stand. She knows where I stand. to do about it well what word do you want no what word do you want us to use because it is kind of awkward we don't know how to describe him to people your friend i've been calling him your sweet guy that i'm dating well but this is my feeling on it this is this is my feeling on it uh you know ashley knows i feel this way ashley has a little dance that she's doing but and she's asking me no dance mike And what she's saying to me is she's putting her hand out and she's like, would you like to dance as well? No, I don't want to dance, Mike. Mike, would you like to dance with me? And I am saying respectfully, no, thank you. I don't want to dance with you. I would not like to take part. Very Bruno versus Carrie Ann right now. Yes, very much so. Great reference, Eddie. Thanks. I wish I understood. Lucky you don't.
A lot of thought. Let me introduce everybody really quick. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37 years of age. And I grew up in Gilroy, California. I went to Gilroy High School. Was contacted yesterday by an old friend from Gilroy High School. Fellow Mustang? Fellow Mustang. Nice work. And so I could not remember her last name. But she had a very particular first name. Her name was Claire. And so I said, I know I have to know her. I knew I knew her. I couldn't remember the last name. And so I broke out a yearbook, and I couldn't find her in the yearbook, and I was looking through the yearbook, and I'm really upset I don't have my junior and senior yearbooks. And you know who's at fault. Oh, no. And so I... No, we're not. No, we're not. No, we're not. Here we go. I'd like to know what happened. But they were ratty. What? I'm going to throw them away. I didn't. Who did? I didn't. I didn't throw them away. Well, if you really wanted them, weren't they your responsibility, Mike? Eddie. Eddie's just a child. How dare you? Eddie, I understand. I know where you're coming from on that. It was one of these situations where I asked my mother if she would watch over some things for me that I... You know what I'm saying? Well, I guess. I asked her if I could go away to Rochester. I went with you. You went with me. It's thousands of miles away.
I'm sure that you didn't take every possession with you to Rochester and that your mom held on to some things for you. Yeah, for the most part. I had some comic books. I had boxed books. Wait a minute. For the most part, I would hasten to say she kept everything you asked her to keep. Yeah, you're probably right. If I really look back at it, it's pretty cool. I got a lot of good childhood memories. Daddy. What? Are we talking about... I thought we were talking about... You're making it worse, dude. I'm not trying to. I know, but... Well, they were important to me. Oh, yeah. Yeah, me too. Anyway. That's too bad. Well, anyway, I was going through the yearbook, and I noticed that I took a highlighter, and I highlighted the name of everybody that I was friends with. This, I think, was an attempt to prove to myself I had friends. Oh, no. So you did this when you were in high school? Yeah. Okay. And so, you know, I look back on it. Oh, look at.
look at that you were friends huh you had so many friends look at you and i remember going i don't know who that is oh you know so i think that if i met somebody i you know thought well that's my friend right so you highlighted your acquaintances oh there are a lot of highlighted acquaintances in there nice you know what i mean yeah uh Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He is 34 years of age. As you can hear, I've known him for quite a while. Quick, sorry. Why did the chick contact you? Because I was talking about North Coast Church yesterday on the air, and she goes there. Oh, so she's local now. Yeah, she lives here, and she thought, that can't be the same guy. It can't be the same guy. And it was. It was me. She goes to North Coast as well. Skye is our news girl. She's 30. She's in her 30s. My name's Sky. What's happening? Sean is our sound effects man. I know you'll like him. I love him. He wears a black wedding band. True. I believe it's onyx. It's cool. It's very different. Ashley, she chooses not to wear a wedding band for her significant other. It's really an unusual approach for sure.
It is, but you know what? It's kind of liberating. She believes in women's rights and women's lib, and she says, I'm not owned by any man. For the record. Yeah, he's my husband. Oh, no. For the record. Oh, no. When Rob called Sarissa's girlfriend after three weeks, you guys made fun of him for it happening so quickly or whatever. You guys were giving him crap for him putting that label on so quickly. Him and me and my love. No. You love him. You love him. You love him. Are you saying you love him? Ladies and gentlemen. Oh, now it's me. She's in love. Now it's me. I love you. Ashley is in love. Right here. That is so beautiful. I bet he loves you too. It's amazing. It's amazing to watch it happen. It's gorgeous. When love blossoms out of somewhere and you don't know where, it just happens. I promised I wouldn't do this. Three weeks and she already loves him. Three weeks she's already in love. Listen, a lot of people don't use that L word. Until they're ready. And listen, mark the date. February 5th. It really is. Super Tuesday. That's right. I love you. It's like she wrote it for him. Ah, well. Like she was playing with animal crackers on his stomach. Eddie, don't bounce the animal crackers on his stomach. That's weird. Well, congratulations, Ash. Boston Rob.
I'm glad Ashley brought that up. She is right. It turned out to be good. So, you know, because Rob rushed into a relationship. Ashley's rushed into a relationship. Maybe that one will end in marriage. True love. Headed that way. True love. I love you. It's fantastic. Rob probably wasn't afraid to use the L word either. I mean, just throw that sucker out there, man. Just lasso that rascal. You're ready. I love you. I support you. That's right. Rob is our phone screener. He's our parody song, writer and performer. And he also is Zeth's friend. Which brings us to Zeth. 22 years old. Good kid. Very tall. Very, very tall. And he's very quiet. He doesn't say too much. When he does, it's usually shocking. He's a shock jock. So 570-1053 is the phone number.
And right now you can call about anything you want. Although I'm going to tell you right off the bat, we're talking a little politics. So my wife and I had a long discussion last night about my, you know, she's on board with Mike Huckabee. I'm on board with Mike Huckabee. And so we're going to vote today. And she said, now what about this throwing away the vote thing? And I said, yeah, no, no, I've been thinking about that. She says, because I don't know that I really think that Huck's going to get the nomination. And I said, yeah, I don't really think so either unless a miracle happens. And she said, so if we vote for him, aren't we essentially throwing our vote away? Like, isn't that a vote that John McCain doesn't get? And I said, you know, I really want to think about that. I really, really want to think about that. So we're sitting there at dinner and we're talking about stuff and it's all that's on my mind. Because I've been thinking about it and I knew today was the day. And then I woke up this morning and I heard a clip from Mitt Romney saying that a vote for Mike Huckabee is a vote that you're taking away from him. And he said that you're essentially handing that vote to John McCain because John McCain is not a conservative. And I went, that's it. I made my mind up. Huckabee it is. Huckabee it is. That Mitt Romney, man.
piece of work i know it dude i heard a new one yesterday i heard a new one i had not even heard and i'm like i'm listening to it and the one that romney has on television where he bashes bashes bashes and then at the very end of it tells you that he ran the olympics it's one of my faves yeah i'm like i'm like man you know i don't like it But at the end of the day, I have to at least admit that, okay, he told me he ran the Olympics good. Like, he did tell me something. The one I heard yesterday, dude, not one word about him. Really? It's all what a turd John McCain is. Oh. The whole 30 seconds. He took 30 seconds, and you hear a voice. Like, it's not Romney's voice. It's a professional broadcasting voice telling you all these awful things about how John McCain, is not conservative and John McCain isn't a real Republican and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And you're hearing all this. And as I'm hearing it, I'm not liking it anyway because I'm hearing somebody talk smack about somebody. And I wouldn't care if I was hearing a Democrat talking crap about a Democrat. I just don't like it. It strikes me the wrong way. It strikes me as all the stuff that like our mom and dad tell us we shouldn't be. Like if you just believe in basic wisdom, you believe that that's wrong.
And so I'm listening to all this bash, bash, bash, bash, bash. And then at the very end of it, you hear his voice come on and go, I met Romney and I approve this message. And I was like, you did? You did? How come? What'd you do that for? That sounded pretty awful to me. Have you seen the new Hillary commercial that's running that has the son of Robert Kennedy and the son of Cesar Chavez? No. Yeah. Are you serious? It's really weird. It kind of made me uncomfortable, to be honest with you. But... Aye, aye, aye. Just tell me what you want to do for me in my life. Will you? Already? Instead of telling me, like... Why are you my candidate? You're somebody else? Why aren't they... Like, why do you have to tell... I just don't understand. I don't understand the bashing because, you know, I get it. You don't like that guy. You disagree with him. But tell me why you are... why you're my guy. That doesn't tell me anything. See, and what's so creepy about it is, I just realized as you were saying that, I was like, oh, wait a minute. He is telling me who he is by just telling me what he's telling me. You're telling me a little bit about your character, which creeps me out. I've read a lot about Romney, and there's some stuff about Romney that I think is positive when you read it.
But then I just can't get past him and the hair. Don't touch the hair. I worked a long time on my hair and you hit it. Sir, are you guys going to vote right after the show's over? I haven't decided yet. I may go home, do my normal routine, get up from my nap and go do it, I think. Yeah. How about you, Shawnee, old boy? We vote absentee. Yeah, you do too, right? Well, it was weird. My husband got an absentee ballot this year, but I didn't. So, yeah, so after work, we're going to go down together and he'll just drop his ballot off and I'll do mine in some weird person's garage. This guy let the hub do the research this year. Well, just on who we want to represent the party. Yeah. Yeah, because we were going to vote for Edwards and then he dropped out and then he didn't endorse anybody. So it kind of left us high and dry. You can write him in. Well, I mean, what's the point of that? Well, I mean, it's the same thing I was just talking about. It's like giving him a big hug. A lot of people do it. They really feel strongly about their candidate, so they write his name in. And it has a spot on the bottom where it says write in. I mean, you could write in me or Eddie if you felt like it. Yeah, vote for me. No, thank you. Well, on my husband's absentee ballot, it actually still has Edwards on there because they were sent out before he dropped out.
I've just been kind of busy lately, and I meant to get around to doing some research on Hillary and Obama, and I wasn't able to find the time. So I told my husband, hey, you've got some time. Can you do this? And let me know who we're voting for, which is really weird for me because I'm a control freak. But I let it go, and I think he made a very educated decision for us. P1 Little Pig is on the line. Are you there, Little Pig? Oh, wait a minute. I got the wrong person. Little pig, are you... Little pig, little pig, let me in. Are you there? There you go. How are you guys doing today? I'm good, dude. You're a supporter of the guy on all the freeways. Yeah, hey, you know what? The guy's got revolutionary ideas. I say, you know what? Do your research. I mean... Ron Paul. One of the greatest candidates to ever, you know... Smoking weed, huh? What's that? Smoking weed. No, you know what? I don't. And you know what? I'm even... I normally vote Democrat, and to be honest, he's got some great ideas, and I just say, you know what, do your research. Ron Paul has done a whole campaign on having people hang signs on the freeway overpasses that say, vote Ron Paul for President of the United States. And, yeah, a lot of people are real interested in Ron Paul. The only thing I don't like about Ron Paul is Ron Paul believes that we should bring those troops home right away. You know what, I mean...
Like I said, I mean, do your research. No, I have, bro. Real bright ideas on everything. Trust me on that one. More of an internet following than on the mass media and why that is. I read that stupid Kindle and Time Magazine and Newsweek and the newspaper and everything I can get my stupid hands on. Do your research. Oh, no. I read it all. I go to their websites. I read everything you can imagine. I am a reader. Read it. I like to read. Do you read Ron Paul? Yeah. I've been to his website. Have you Googled Ron Paul? I have Googled. I heard that's what you're supposed to do. I've Googled. Have you overpassed Ron Paul? I have underpassed Ron Paul. P1 Chris is on the line. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Good morning, everybody. Hey, Eddie, I just had a quick question for you. I know if you golf or not, have you ever been to Morgan's Run Resort? Where is that? Well, that answers that question. I don't remember. Rancho Santa Fe? I might have. I'm trying to think if I've been there or not. I don't remember. I guess my question was if some of the rumors were true about it still being a stuffy old resort that hasn't changed, but if you haven't been there lately... Yeah, I have no idea. I don't think so. Okay, I just got offered an executive chef job out there, and I didn't know. I got a lot of things on the table and wanted to hear some feedback about it. Figured you'd been there. No, sorry, man. Cool, dude. It's cool. Good luck. Thank you. From Bo is a... Oh, no, there you go.
Is this a for or against him? I don't know. I don't know. Let's see. Let's see. What's going on? Oh, it's against him. It's against him. Yeah. Now, it's probably McCain because McCain's fighting back now. Get him. What's going on? McCain has finally had to fight back, so he's got a commercial, brand new commercial about Mitt Romney. Hey, I'm John McCain, and I approve this message. It's an image of John McCain. weighing about 40 pounds lighter, talking to Ronald Reagan back in the day. That's what you're looking at. Mitt Romney on Ronald Reagan. Look, I was an independent during the time of Reagan Bush. I'm not trying to return to Reagan Bush. Mitt Romney was against Ronald Reagan before he was for him. Yeah, I voted in the Democratic primary, and when I was running in 94, I wasn't trying to return to Reagan Bush. If we can't trust Mitt Romney on Ronald Reagan, how can we trust him to lead America? I'm not running as... The Republican view or a continuation of Republican value. There you go. Wow. Oh, my God. That's wow. Who's more Ronald Reagan than someone else? How Ronald Reagan are you? Hey, how many Ronald Reagan collector's cards do you have? I have more than you do. Oh, really? Well, let me. You guys want to do Ronald Reagan trivia? I'll beat you. Yeah.
The Republicans really, they put a lot on the Ronald Reagan stuff. P1 Paparazzi's on the line. Oh, no, Eddie. That was a pretty fast face drop for Eddie. P1 Paparazzi takes a lot of pictures, or at least used to when we used to go and do personal appearances. His name is Brad, and there you go. Brad, how are you, buddy? I'm doing okay. Yourself? Not bad, not bad. I want to see if there's any chance you guys could do a bit where you guys make your own 30-second Mitt Romney commercials. I'd be curious to see what they come out like. They'd be hilarious. What would it be like? What do you mean? Well, I mean, you guys can come up with so many off-the-wall things, especially Sean. I'd be curious to hear Sean's version of a Mitt Romney commercial. I'm not quite grasping, though, what you mean. Like where we're bashing Mitt Romney, or what are you saying? Well, Mitt Romney's always bashing everybody, so it'd be interesting to hear your version of him bashing people. Okay, so it would be like a parody thing where we're pretending to be Mitt Romney and we're saying funny stuff? Exactly. Got it, got it, got it. Well, can you give me an example? Because I'm not kidding. I'm trying to wrap my head around it because maybe it is funny. I just got to get it. As soon as I get it, I'll be like, I get it. I'm being serious.
Like if I get it and I kind of like the idea, I might be like, yeah, it sounds kind of funny. Like maybe he's like, if I'm understanding him right, it would be whatever, like us pretending to be Mitt Romney and being like, oh, John McCain used to be a Nazi. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Over the top. Got it, got it. I wasn't sure if it was that or if it was like we're talking about things, not necessarily McCain, we're talking about things that are. insignificant and don't mean anything. I'm Mitt Romney and I'm against, you know, sparrows, bunny rabbits, and you know, like that. Which one were you thinking, paparazzi? Alright, thank you. I'm sorry, Eddie. Eddie, are you okay? That one kind of got me too when I went to him. That one kind of got me too. That was tough. That was my hot button. Whereas, you know, Eddie's hot button is His whole personality. Mine is overall. Mine is sort of... Yes. That is right. Eddie's is sort of the fact that he exists. Mine is more of, hey, be there when I say, hey, what do you... But hey, you know what? To each their own. To each their own is what I say. Are you sure that's what you're saying? Super Tuesday. That's right. It's super already. Vote on it.
Well, here's what we're going to do on the Mikey show today. First of all, I have a whole new crop of things for us to vote on as a show. Yes. And what I'm saying is, you may be saying, well, what is this? We've done it before. I'll bring up something very random and we either vote for or against. Like I'll say cheddar cheese on a hamburger. You know, and some people are like, no, that's just fundamentally wrong. Who would say that? You know, you don't put cheddar cheese on a hamburger. That's like a cheddar cheeseburger, which is not to be confused with a cheeseburger, which only has American cheese on it. It's the only way it's ever been. It's the only way it ever should be. I don't know about that. That's what it is. That's crazy talk. So we're going to be doing our own voting on the show here today. Sean, is the poll ready? I'm getting it ready right now. All right, Sean is making a poll online. And we'll get a keyword for you in a little bit so you can find it real easy. But we're going to ask you, who are you going to vote for? Who are you going to vote for today? He's going to give you all the different candidates and just click on who you're going to vote for. We're just interested, who are Mikey Show listeners into?
I'd be fascinated. Like if it all comes back, Barack Obama, I'd go, oh, cool, interesting. If it all comes back, McCain, whatever. I'm just curious who you're voting for today. And there's also a button there that you can click on for other. And there's a button you can click on for not voting. But I'm interested to see what you guys are thinking. So we're working on getting that up. What else are we doing on the show today? I got to play that Snoop Dogg audio for you. Snoop Dogg. It was on Larry King, and Larry King is doing a Mitt Romney. He's trying to talk to him in, like, jive. That's awesome. Jive. So I got to hear me some of that in just a little bit. Do you guys know what a birthing gift is? A what? Dude, I swear I read about this somewhere, and then we got an email about it, and I went, this is a real thing. The birthing gift. This is where a woman has a baby. And now, guys, you need to get them a gift. It's a thing. For what? Well, for having the baby. Oh, I love it. What? It's called a birthing gift. And if you're not doing it, guys, then you're a bad person. Oh, I don't know about this. It's another way to let you guys know you're doing it all wrong. I think that sounds cool.
Do a little cell phone mishaps today. We got to get to P1 Trivia today. Somebody will win the opportunity to come into the studio on Friday and hang out the entire show long. So get ready for that. Am I putting anything else on the website? Getting something up there that I'm forgetting? Propositions. Propositions. That's right. If you're wondering about the propositions, because they are confusing, right? This casino stuff. Like, what does it mean? Some of them are kind of weird. I don't understand. What am I voting for exactly with this proposition? And what's the upside of that? What's the downside of that? If you're wondering, my mother-in-law says she found this website that's very unbiased. So we put it online and you can check it out. Go to MikeyShow.com and click on just writing keyword props. It'll take you there and you can figure it out for yourself very easily. So we've got a lot of stuff we're doing on the show today. Big day on the Mikey Show. Oh, we didn't get to something yesterday called the Dumb Chick Challenge. Oh, perfect day for it. We'll do a little bit of that today. That'd be perfect. Larry the Cable Guy in the Stand-Up Spotlight. The Mikey Show Stand-Up Spotlight. 053. Say hello to you.
Meet the good-looking girls at the workout joints and stuff. But that's false advertising, I think, you know. Show them on TV, these good-looking women run. Where they at when I go down there lift weights, you know? I got a two-ton teen on a floor mat over there, you know, looking at me like I'm a little Debbie oatmeal cream cookie or something over there. Well, she come walking over, she goes, excuse me, can you spot me? Heck yeah, you're 300 pounds, I go... I spotted you on the way in here, for God's sake. Ray Charles could have seen you over there working out. Damn, you're a big old woman there. You could jump up in the air and get stuck. And your hind end's hungry. It's eating your leotards. You may find a bit of a delay through Rancho Bernardo right now in the South 15. There was a disabled car here in the slow lane just past West Bernardo Drive. CHP got on the scene and was running a traffic brake to slow you down in the approach so they could get this guy out of the way. It's all possible delay in that direction.
Other than that, most of our freeways are pretty much up to speed and problem-free. Just a minor delay developing down the coastline on Southbound 5 as you come down in towards Encinitas. No worries at all out of the East County, West 94, 8 Freeway. They're up to speed. 805 Northbound. That's starting to get some bright lights here as you come up past the South Bay Freeway up through National City, off and on towards Home Avenue. And now you're seeing a bit of a slowdown on this 805 coming out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over to 52 towards Governor Drive already. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Six more weeks of perversion. A judge ruled yesterday that Britney Spears' dad will remain in charge of her estate. Dude, Super Bowl XLII went off. It was the most watched Super Bowl ever and the second highest rated TV show ever behind the MASH finale. Oh my. For real? Yeah. And so he's coming to the station today after the show. And I haven't seen my script or anything. So I hope he's going to be cool. That's what I was going to say. Do you know if Ham will be involved in this? I have no idea. Well, I know it'll be in the green room. Yes. For sure. Absolutely. It's on a writer. Absolutely. I like ham. Well, here's the thing. Sky likes ham. That's what I've heard. Honey baked. That's not what we're talking about. What kind, Sky? Honey baked. We're talking about M2 right now. And I like ham. I know you do. I like ham. I think we're aware of it. I like ham. Cricket. Thanks for the high def cam M2. Honey baked. Well, yeah, that's the thing. You see, we're going to put five of the best ones. up on our website, the best videos promoting the Mikey Show. Got to be three minutes or less. And, you know, we're going to let you vote. Some of the other things that we're talking about this morning. Of course, Britney Spears is back in the news. Of course she is. Her dad is in charge. They've officially said that he's got... He gets to make the call sky for what, like 14 more days or something? Until February 14th. You know, the judge on Friday granted him control over her estate through the weekend so he could go over all the evidence in the case. And then everybody was back in court yesterday. Brittany's lawyers were trying to argue that Brittany's father shouldn't be in charge of her estate because Brittany doesn't trust her dad. But the judge, you know, disagreed and didn't think that Britney was in her right mind to be judging people's characters. And so, again, extended her dad's control till February 14th. Hey, who saw last night on 2020 the Vandersloot stuff? I watched like half of it. Did you really? Yeah. Was it good? So good. It was crazy. So compelling.
was being taped and he didn't know it. He's in the passenger seat of the car of a guy who he thinks is his friend but is actually a like reporter. Undercover reporter. An undercover reporter who has befriended him for the last, what, Sky, months? Yeah, I believe they said it was like two full months of hanging out like every single day. Can you imagine that, man? They were like smoking pot together. They were doing all of this stuff together so he could gain his trust. And so he did. And at one point, they're sitting there in his car. And Vandersloot doesn't realize there's cameras, hidden cameras, and microphones in the car. And Vandersloot starts to talk and confess. Wow. Cut 36. Will they ever find her, do you think? No. I'm done with it. The only thing I want now is my big fat compensation check. Before I have it, it'll be 10 years. But where the f*** is she, Euron? She'll be never be found. Where exactly? I don't even know myself. How can that be that you don't even know that? Well, higher power. I'm done with it, Patrick. It's fine. Probably all going to come out better than I hoped. Interesting. Okay, here's more of it. Now, what you're listening to, obviously, translators, because he speaks.
Danish. Danish? Is that right, Sky? Yeah, sure. From the Netherlands. Dutch. Dutch. Speaking Dutch. And so you're hearing the translation. The guy who he's talking to, the reporter, his name is Patrick. So if you ever hear a reference to Patrick in the audio, you know he's talking to the guy in the driver's seat who is a reporter who he thinks is his friend. Cut 37. I've never discussed this with anyone. No. It wasn't easy either. Not even now. I know, Joram. But there are some things you have to get off your chest sometimes. Yeah, it's just... She's never going to be found. I think. Because they dumped her in the street? Yeah. Yes? Alone? Yes. Did you swim out or something? How then? That's weird. It's impossible, Joram. Look, I do know people in Aruba. At that age, I used to go around with people... People who can help me, but still, I'd rather not name those people. Because they've never, in all this time, never did anything wrong. They've always been good to me, and I've always been good to them. So yes, I know who it is, but I'm not going to tell you his name. But it isn't my parents or anything, but someone who's really a good friend of mine. With a boat. Yes. And that's it.
If you took her out on a boat more than two miles, she'll never come back, you know. That's pretty compelling audio. Wow. Pretty compelling audio. Hey, Ashley, when you were watching it, did they actually talk to that guy, the undercover guy? They were, like, interviewing him the entire time, and he was the one who was kind of leading them through, like, their, you know, special on this. Cut 35. After two months, he wanted to tell me, but I told him I don't want to know this. I don't like this story. I don't want to know this story. Even though you were only dealing with Joran to get the truth about Natalie Holloway, you were like the only person in the world who would say, I don't care. Definitely. He didn't show any interest in the case. So Joran was a little bit amazed because most of the people meeting Joran will ask in already 10 minutes, well, tell me, did you do it or not? Well, I guess you got to think you did it the right way because you got the guy to tell him stuff. Cut 34. What happened to her? What the f*** happened to her? Yoram, listen, I'm from Aruba. I know the b***h. I'm telling you honestly, I know what happened to that girl. What happened then, Yoram? Morta, she's dead, isn't she? Of course. The ocean's big, isn't it? Of course the sea is big, man. I just...
I think that I've been incredibly lucky that she's never been found. Because if they found that girl, I'd be in deep. We talked to Beth Holloway, Natalie Holloway's mother. We talked to her on the Mikey Show. And, you know, she has, from the very beginning, pretty much known, yeah, these guys are probably responsible for it. But what are we going to do? You know, we're tied. Our hands are tied. It's the Reuben police that are dealing with it. But here she was last night, Natalie Holloway's mom, Beth, on 2020. Cut 38. The world will be Euron's judge and jury, and he will have to live with himself. And if he has to live his existence in this world, among people, that's punishment for him, Chris, will be in his living hell. I don't know, though, because I don't know that he really feels remorse. Doesn't sound like it. Yeah, everything that we've heard doesn't really sound, I mean, for, yeah, I mean, what Beth is saying, I think, makes sense for somebody that has a sense of conscience and guilt.
But he hasn't exhibited any of that. All he's really shown is that he doesn't really care. I mean, because you think about most of us, if we knew, if we were, if we did something like that, most of us couldn't, we wouldn't be able to. And he's been taken in and let back out. And you'd think that during one of those times, he would finally go, you know what, I'm tired of it. I'm tired of the guilt. I'm tired. And he's like, no, like he's real steadfast in the finger. So anyway, it is Super Tuesday. So we're going to be voting on stuff here on the Mikey Show. You could call us if you want to. Let's have fun today, man. It's Tuesday and it's still the beginning of the week. So let's just all let our hair down a little bit. 5-7-0-1-0. Call us about whatever you want and we'll hang out and we'll talk about it. You're a whining little kid. This is the Mikey Show.

What's your name, bro? P1 Bloody Bill. P1 Bloody Bill. Tell the story as briefly as you can. Okay. After I had first signed up for AIS about six months ago, I called back with the insurance company that I originally had to see if I can get a better deal now that I had a quote from AIS. And I talked to them and they basically told me no. And about two months later, I got the gift card in the mail. And so I called them up to see why they had sent me a gift card. And they said it was from somebody I referred, and they told me the name of the person. I didn't recognize the name at all. They said her name was Amy, and he's like, I don't know an Amy. And finally, she mentioned off the cuff that she just happened to work for the insurance company that I had called for before. I'd be interested to know you're not going to, or if you don't like any of the candidates you do see. Welcome back to the show. Our phone number here is 570-1053. P1 Nemesis is on the line. Hi, Nemesis. Hello? Hey, dude, tell everybody what a P1 is. Can you do that? Yeah, sure. It's somebody who listens to Mikey's show exclusively, turns down the radio, gets straight to the point, and tries to promote the Mikey show. That is correct. That is correct. You are a good P1, my friend. What's going on, Nemesis? Hey, I just wanted to call you guys and thank you for being on in the morning. And first time I listened to you, I was hooked on you immediately two years ago. And on Thursday, I'll be leaving for Iraq for one year. And I just wanted to call to say I'm going to miss you guys. That's awesome, dude. I appreciate that. And I wish you the best of luck. And please let us know when you're back safely. And we'll be thinking about you.
Will do, Mikey. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you for calling in. Stay safe. Stay safe, for sure. P1Xs? Yeah. What's going on? I had a comment about the Aruba and reporter situation. Yeah, go ahead. What happened was, y'all probably have noticed it's a form of reverse psychology. Avoid the question everyone's asking, and naturally the person's going to see them as nonjudgmental. And tell them anything you want to know. Same thing that a psychiatrist does. Creates an unbiased character, a non-judgmental character, and then the patient tells him everything. And that's exactly what happened with the reporter. It's pretty interesting, too. Yesterday we were hearing that when he first met him, when the reporter first met him, he walked up to him in a casino where he's sitting at a blackjack table and said to him, hey, murderer. And we were talking about it, and we were going, you know, it's actually pretty brilliant because... A person that was an undercover reporter would not do that. No. You would think that they would walk up and be like, hi, how are you? You know, like, what's up? Let's be friends. He avoids the obvious, you know? Yeah, he avoids the obvious. I get it. Make insults, make humor. Again, the detective's not going to insult him and make, you know, inappropriate jokes. So apparently this guy's just, you know, the next guy playing cards. Very cool. Yeah. Thank you, dude. All right, my guys. You guys have a good day. You too.
Said I love you to my dad last night on the phone. And he said to me, love you guys. He's never done that on the phone. No way. But we weren't even there. He usually always does it when he's on the air. Right. Says love you guys. He's from a different generation. So that generation, you know, is kind of gay if you say to another guy, I love you. He'll do it, you know. But he just, you know, even though it's his son, it's kind of weird to say. I love you to that generation of people. Right. Yeah. You've like talked a lot about that with your dad and the I love you's and how he always says the I love you guys or whatever. But I'm now kind of starting to have a deal with the I love you's. See, I come from a family that never says I love you. Like you say I love you like if somebody's on their deathbed or. The whole family's at a funeral together or maybe somebody's getting married. That's about the only time you say I love you in my family. That's just how we roll. My husband's family, totally different thing. Every time they hang up the phone, every time they write each other a letter, any time they leave to go out the front door, it's I love you. And now that I've been in the family for a long time, I'm starting to get the I love you's from my in-laws.
I feel weird saying it back because I'm not from, but like I, like I do love them. I do care for them, but that's not like a word I just throw around. You know what I mean? Well, and if you're not used to saying it, it's uncomfortable. Well, it is. I'm the exact same, exact same ways guy. Yeah. My family doesn't, you know, say I love you very much at all. And my wife's family, they say it to each other all the time. Like every time my wife hangs up the phone with her brother or her mom or whoever, they're always saying it. And every once in a while, you know, my new mother-in-law will say it to me and I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa. But don't you like, I mean, of course you say it back. Of course. Because you'd feel like a jerk. You may feel it too. Yeah, I do. You feel it. I love my new family. Yeah, but I don't feel comfortable saying it, and I feel like a total jerk if I were to ever broach the subject like, hey, I'm not from an I love you family. You can't. What do you do? Yeah, you can't do that.
But maybe you'll get used to it. The more you do it, the less uncomfortable it might become. But it's so uncomfortable, Mike. Maybe you'll be desensitized. Listen, the first time you see a scary movie, you think that it's scary. But then after you watch a few scary movies, you start to go, oh, it's not that bad. I broke a lot of people in who never said it. And then they became friends with me. And I'm like... The opposite, like I overuse I love you. And so I have had multiple best friends where every other day was I love you, I love you. And they never said it back. And then eventually I broke them. Now they say it all the time. I'm sure that my wife is listening right now. I think she does that like with some friends. Honey, if you're listening, call her. I think she does it with some friends that she says that she loves them when she's hanging up. And she can tell that some of her friends are not I love you friends. She keeps doing it, though, because she wants to let them know that she loves them, and even though she knows that they may be a little uncomfortable with it, now I'm sure they're about 100 times more comfortable with it because that's her thing. In the first few times, I'm sure it was a little uncomfortable, like, oh, my goodness, love. Stop the love already. But then you get used to it. I don't want to. You don't want to get used to it? I want to be. I get it. Who I am. I understand.
Well, you can be, but you have this. But then I'm a jerk. No, no, no, no. You need to make a decision. This is the decision in front of you. You can either, you have one of two choices. You can either fake it till you make it, meaning you got to fake the thing until you actually get there and you feel comfortable. You actually feel comfortable. You could either do that or. you could be very honest and very open and say, I have to tell you that makes me uncomfortable. No way. No way. No way. There are two choices here. There are two choices here. No one can ever do that. One of them is going to be more uncomfortable than the other, and it seems to me that there was a reaction in the room to one of them. You say you've ruined everything. It is honest. I mean, there's nothing unfair about your feelings. There's nothing unfair about your feelings. Your guys' feelings are your feelings, and there's nothing wrong with the way that you feel. It's you. There's nothing wrong with you. Well, and I also feel like weird if I start this new I love you thing with my in-laws, but then I don't say I love you to my biological parents. Like, that's weird. Well, wait a minute. Like, why are they giving me I love yous? Wouldn't that only matter if your real parents were in the room and heard it?
Yeah, but what if they were? They would think that that was a little odd because they don't do it. Yeah, they're like, she's saying I love you to the in-laws? That's crazy! I don't know, Mike. My wife's on the line. Hi. Hi, hon. Hi. You say I love you to all your friends, right? I do. And I grew up in that kind of environment. Always I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you. And my really good friends... are my family because i have such a small family you know and so it's just it would be like saying i love you to my sisters but i have one friend and i don't want to say who it is because i just don't but she's a really good friend of mine and um i know who it is don't say don't say and um do you know who it is you know right eddie i know exactly yeah yeah and she grew up in a family um just like sky said and eddie too you know that they just don't they don't say that all the time, you know, unless it's really special occasions and things like that. And so we had to have like almost a discussion about it at one point. It was, I can't remember exactly how. I didn't know that. I did that. I did not know. Yeah. And it wasn't like, it wasn't uncomfortable. It wasn't a weird thing at all. I can't even remember how it came up. She might've said something like, I think it's so cool how.
you can, you know, say I love you to your friends and stuff. You know, something like that. Hey, Skye, maybe that's it. You say, maybe you say. Now, I do think that you think that it's cool that she says I love you, right? That they say I love you. You at least think it's kind of nice. Oh, yeah. Like, my dream is if and when me and my husband have children, that we, like, smother them with I love you. Perfect. So that might be the end. In other words, maybe one time when you guys are all together, it's a compliment. You say, you know what's really cool? I think it's really neat how you say I love you. You know, when I was growing up, we didn't really do that a lot. And it could, you know, well, hey, that's certainly a lot better than going, I have to tell you. It makes me very uncomfortable when you say I love you. And I get what you're saying, but I see potential for them being like, oh, well, is it weird for you? But then that's an opportunity. What do I answer? You say it like this. You do it like that. You're very, very delicate, very gentle. No, I love it. I love it more. Let me show you how you might try. You might go, well, at first it was kind of different because I'm not used to it. But now I have to say.
I hate it. You go, no. Now you go, no, I don't know. Maybe I'm kind of used to it. I don't know. That's not true either. No, no, no, it isn't. So I say, you say, you say, well, maybe, but, you know, the bottom line is that it's really nice. It's a neat thing. You do think that. I definitely think that. I always say stay with the truth because the truth is the easiest thing to remember. With my friend, what ultimately ended up happening is that I kept saying it. Yeah. you know, over time, she's kind of become comfortable saying it back to me. Was there a time where she didn't say it back? Yes. Like Sky. Yeah, see? I tell Sky I love her all the time. Watch. Sky, I love you. Thank you, Mike. That's very nice. That's what she always says back. When I tell Sky I love her, she says thank you. Sky, I love you. Thanks, Ash. Every once in a while, she'll mess up. Every once in a while, she'll mess up. No, Ash can get an I love you out of me because she'll do it in her cute little voice. And then she goes, I love you too. Because it's like a bunny rabbit saying it to you. You feel like you're kicking the bunny rabbit in the face. Whenever I get out of Skye, it's like one point me. I put it on the board and I'm like, yeah! I know, Ash will be like yelling it at me across the parking lot. And then I'm so like, I can't yell I love you across the parking lot right now. I'm freaking out.
I love you really makes people uncomfortable. It shouldn't. There needs to be more love in this world, Mike. I love you, Ramsey. Hey, if you weren't listening earlier, Ashley finally told her boyfriend she loves him on the radio. She said, you know, they all were. It was really, really neat. Rebecca, I called him my love. I was like, oh, my love. And now they're saying that. She's in love with him. I'm trying to corrupt my life. Corrupt it? There should be more love in your life. That's right. You just said it yourself. There's plenty of love in my life. There you go. Plenty of it. That's right. All right, honey, thanks. I love you. Love you, too. Oh, look at that. I love you. Lots of love. I'm uncomfortable. A bunch of love. Thank you. P1 Vikings fan? Yep, right here. What's up? How you doing? First of all, I'd say I love you guys. I love you. Love you. Thank you. Love you. Thank you very much. I love you. Yeah, I don't really, I say it only to like my family members and really close friends because I really, it's like one of those things where if I hate for it to be like these guys, like he passed away or something, the last words I say to him and I don't say I love you. Oh, wait a minute. You say that you say it to your close friends and family, but I'm kind of wondering, well, who else would you say it to? I don't really say it to the secretary. Starbucks, barista. I do not. I like my girlfriend who says it to everybody though. You say it to your girlfriend, right? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, outside of your friends, your family.
I can't imagine who you, I can't imagine who it's really appropriate to say it to, although Ashley says it to everyone. Wow. Weird. When it comes to my family, I have, like, nickname, like, love yous that I say. What do you mean? Like, I don't even say it. Like, me and my dad, like, I never tell my dad, like, I love you. Like, we always, but we always say loves, and it's like L-U-B, and so we'll be like, love. What would it be like if the next time you were talking to your dad, what would it be like? What would it be like if you went, I love you, would you be uncomfortable saying it that way? No, it's not me necessarily that gets uncomfortable, but it's my dad. He always says loves. That's like our nickname thing for him. Okay, so if you were hanging up with him today and you said, at the very end of the call, you said, just like this, in this voice, in this inflection, with this tonality, If you went, dad, I love you. That would be weird. Yeah. It'd be different. Would it make him uncomfortable? Yeah. It's just not what we do. I know. I know it's not what you do. See, what you do, what you actually do is much less intimate. For sure. It's much less intimate. But it's not as weird for me as it is for my dad. Like, my dad never says anything besides loves.
I would love to see what would happen if you hit your dad up with a little bit. See, because right now what you're doing is you're almost saying I love you through what I'm looking at right now. Big pane of glass. Right. I would love to see what would happen. You walk in the room and you're right up in his face, which is what it would be like if you said I love you. You're like walking in the room, getting right up in his face and going, Dad. Wait, not with the creepy voice. That got really weird. Yeah, that got awkward. See how that would go down. Yeah, probably not well. But this is a thing for a lot of families. See, either families do what Eddie and Skye do or they do what Ashley does where they do it in a very cute way because the cute way is less intimate. It's easier. I love you are three very powerful words. They're tough to say. P1 Hydroponics. Yes, sir. I say I love you to everybody, whether, like, I just need them or it's my family or anybody. Like, if I go out to somewhere and I meet a new girl, it's like, I love you, bye. And then they're like, look at me, and it's like, no, I'm not, like, in love with you. I love you. I care about you. Like, I don't want you to drive home and get hurt, you know? Like, I don't think it's a throwaway to buy, like Sky said it was. It's not a throwaway. It's just letting people know you care about them. Like, people need that reassurance every once in a while. Are your mom and dad alive?
Yeah. Is your mom overly affectionate? No, I actually live with my dad. They're divorced. Okay. When you were growing up, did you grow up around your mom or no? No, mostly my dad. When you grew up with your dad, was he overly affectionate? No, we hung out and did everything together. I'd get up at 4 o'clock in the morning. That wasn't the question, though. Let's go back to the question. I'm going to ask the question one more time. When you were growing up with your dad, was he overly affectionate? No, not really. She's always there for me. There you go. So what, listen, I'm no psychologist. I just like to read. What I see is it wasn't there. You didn't hear it. It wasn't a big thing. The affection, the love, the whatever. There was no mom in the situation. And so there may be like a little bit of overcompensating. Because what I think is interesting is, is that a lot of people will find the love a little inappropriate. There are some people when they get the love from just all over the place. Like they just meet somebody and the person says, I love you. It's a little bit like, whoa. Yeah. Hey, just met you guy. I just met you. That's overusing it. I think hydroponics is overusing it. It takes away from the meaning of it. You know. Some could say that about you. I was just thinking, don't you tell everybody you love them all the time? No, I only tell people that I really love that I love them. Which is like my friends and my family. Yeah. I have a lot of friends, but.
I mean, I never say it unless I mean it. That is true. Ashley does not say it's a stranger. She says it. Now, I will say this. I think you say it kind of quickly. You do say it kind of quickly. We got to know you in a... You were telling us you loved us pretty quick. Sure. As long as you consider us friends, Ashley will love you. Yeah, I'm a very loving person. And she is. Yeah. P1 Arrogant, are you there? I'm here. What do you think? How's it going, Mikey? Good. What's up, guys? Hey. Hey. Just recently, I've been talking to my dad, and I haven't really talked to him my whole life. And just out of the blue, you know, at the end of the conversation, he throws in a I love you. And ever since then, I talk to him quite often now, and he still throws it in. I'm just weirded out about the whole deal because, you know, I've never really known my dad. Wow, man. That's heavy. That is heavy stuff. Yeah, man. I was the first person to say I love you to my dad. He didn't say it to me. I said it to him. I was about 14, I think. I don't remember how old I was, but I remember where I was. That's crazy. We were coming back into Gilroy from Hecker Pass, which is the road that connects Gilroy to Watsonville. It's a twisty, windy road. And we were coming back, so we were coming back into town. And where you get to this road called Day Road, which went to the left,
Right around there, right in that area. My dad and I were talking about something. I said, Dad, I love you. And there was a scared pause. I know it must have freaked him out. My son just said he loves me. And he said, I love you too. Well, now we say it all the time. While he says, when we get him on the phone, get him on the phone. When we hang up, he always says, love you guys. It's very difficult for him. He's from that era. He's 71 years old. I think it was weird for him at the time. Eddie, have you ever said I love you to your dad? Was there ever an occasion? Not that I can recall, and I don't think he's ever said it to me either. Now, for sure your mom, right? There had to be an occasion. Yeah, it doesn't happen very often, though. Really? Yeah. But on an occasion? Very rarely. Or I'll write it in like a card, like on a birthday, something like that. How about the other way around? Does she say it to me? Yeah. No, not very often. So it's got to be very... What about you, Sky?
Yeah, I can't specifically ever remember my father saying it to me. My mom a couple times, but like big things. Like if I'm like going in for like surgery or like my wedding day, you know, things like that. Now, and reverse, no way, right? Like you've not said I love you to your mom or to your dad? Right. Like Eddie, I've written it in cards, you know, like in birthday cards and stuff. But yeah, that's it. What would you feel like if your dad said, I love you? What would you feel? I mean, in a cheery way, like you were hanging up the phone and you're on the phone, you're right. But you get to that point in the inflection of your voice. That means we're getting off the phone. And all of a sudden your dad goes, I love you. Well, I.
I'd obviously be, like, shocked. I'd say it back, and then I'd think he just found out he was dying. Oh, my goodness. Really? Yeah, like something huge. I hope he never says it. So you'd hang up, and then you'd be worried, like, what is going on? I would immediately go to my husband and be like, dude, something bad is going down. My dad just said I love you. Right, right, right. Dad, are you ready to vote today? What's that? Are you ready to vote today? Yeah, I'm ready. Hey, Dad. Yeah. Have you made up your mind who you're going to vote for? Yes. You're going to vote Democrat, right? That's correct. Oh, look at you. Nice, Danny. Sean just said, si, sip with it. Of course, with a first woman president, anything will be accomplished. There you go. I knew it was going to be Hillary. I knew it was going to be Hillary. My dad is a Hillary Clinton supporter. She has a strong Hispanic following. Wow.
Dad, why Hillary? Because I trust the woman in the office more than the man. Interesting. That is very interesting. Wow. Who would you ideally like for her to pick? If she were to get the nomination, who would you like for her to have as a running mate? Obama. Oh, really? Yeah, I think it's a dream team. There you go. Now, what about these propositions? Have you seen any of these things, Dad? Yeah, they're my age. The way they're written, if I say yes, it means no. If I say no, it means yes, in my opinion, because they're hard to read. You know, and then, of course, you get all that stuff on TV, and they're being paid by people that want them to pass. And 94 through 97, I want to go yes, but then when I start listening to the TV, it sounds like some of the tribes are getting...
the wrong end of the deal, but then when you find out who's backing that app, it's crazy. And I wish there were a little bit more... So, Dad, Dad, tell my listeners that speak Spanish, tell them in Spanish, I don't know, give like a little campaign thing for your candidate. I like to hear my dad speak Spanish. Putting me on the spot. You know how to speak Spanish. Oh, my God. Pop, you can say anything. I think Sean said it best. He said, but you got to get out there and vote. Well, you got to say it in Spanish, though. Come on. Now I got you on the spot. Say something about Hillary, but say it in Spanish, because I like to hear you speak Spanish. Oh, well, I guess what I would say is, hermanos y hermanas, vayan y voten ahora por la señora Clinton, porque es la señora que debÃa estar en la oficina de presidentes de los Estados Unidos.
I'll talk to you soon. I love you, Dad. There you go. Dad, you love who? Listen, he wanted to cut it off at the pass. He said before any of that stuff happens, before I get any of that I love you stuff, I'm just going to cut it off at the pass and I'm going to say I love you guys, which means all seven of you. Mike can figure it out. I don't have to spell it out for him. I'm not gay. And I told your mom I loved her, too, and she picked up. Did you really? I asked her I love you, and she said she loved me too. Love is in the air. Love really is in the air. Sounds gay. Coming up next, why don't we do the Dumb Chick Challenge. Finally. That's what I'm saying. Oh, it ain't boring. You never heard it before. We're going to ask Skye, Ashley, and Boston Rob questions. And they're just basic knowledge questions. And you call us right now, 570-1053. Pick one of those three. Who do you think is going to win? And if they do, they win for you. Eddie, what's the prize today? I'll have to look. All right, we'll be right back. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Hello there, I'm Dr. Henry Jekyll. I'm a research scientist. And I'm Mr. Edward Hyde, accountant. It says, hi, I moved meetings I had in Charlotte today to Friday just so I would not miss the day of reckoning for B-Rob. What? Was your girlfriend consoling you throughout the game? My fiancée? Your fiancée. She is in worse condition than I am. Did she cry? No. Held it back. Did you cry? No. Held it back. Seth cried? He didn't even have a vested interest in me at the game. He ran out of dip. That's what I mean. Yeah. It is 740. Sources say that supermodel Giselle is regretting a bet she made with boyfriend Tom Brady that she would run naked down the streets of Manhattan if the Giants won the Super Bowl. That'd be awesome. Patriots, things get worse for them. Tom Brady and Randy Moss decide they're going to skip the Pro Bowl as well. The Browns' Derek Anderson and the Bengals' Chad Johnson will replace them. Remember, like, in the past...
Uh-huh. You guys were playing the Pro Bowl? Well, it was kind of an honor. Remember that? Remember that? Kind of. Like in the old, back in the day? Yeah. I can kind of understand Brady if he's got a banged up ankle or whatever, but what's the matter with Randy Moss? Why can't he play? I couldn't agree with that more. You know what I say? If they don't play in that, they shouldn't get that Pro Bowl bonus. Yeah. Oh, they would still get the bonus? Absolutely. You're named to the Pro Bowl. And that's all that really matters. Now, would you be cool with saying exempt if you're injured, right? Yeah, that I understand. You get paid. I mean, what can you do? But guys that just decide, I don't feel like playing, you don't get a bonus. Yeah, because it's not about just being named. There is a game that goes on, guys, that you're supposed to play in. I know it isn't just about going to Hawaii and sipping on gin and juice. Oh, yeah. It's about a little more than that, guys, is all I'm trying to tell you. Today is Super Tuesday. Already, I think it's super. And in just a little bit, we're going to be voting on stuff. I want you to play along, too. I'm going to be bringing up things that you need to vote on, and they're stupid things. I gave the example earlier. One of the things that we'll vote on will be like this. Cheddar cheese on a hamburger. Some people don't consider that a cheeseburger. That's disgusting. My wife...
My wife would never in a million years consider anything except for American cheese acceptable. Wow. That's crazy. Everything else would taste, and I'm putting it in her words, weird. Oh. No. Oh, wow. In what may prove to be a veritable innuble exercise in the substantiation of mental acumen. The Mikey Show presents a somewhat gelastic moiety called... The Dumb Chick Challenge. Wait a minute. That's not... That is... She's part of the thing. You're part of the game. Are you not part of the game? Are you not part of the game? End of part of the game. This is how it works. Man, I love blow. 5701053. Big talk from the defending champion. Well, there she is. Victorious. Where's the ball time? I'm pretty good, guys. The champ is here. I don't know, guys. Hopefully, I can keep my winning streak. There's no luck. Good luck. Very nice. Do you have a cold? No, a stroke. What's up, Badangas? My tongue's not working. Capella. Well, that and I went deaf. Oh, my. Bye, Badangas. Everyone.
5701053, what you're going to do is you're either going to pick Sky, Ashley, or Boston Rob to represent you. Ashley's the defending champion. She won last week. And here's how the game works. First person to get to five points is the winner. They get a choice between one, two, or three-point questions. Ones are easy, threes are hard, and they just pick. They can try to get it done real fast and say, give me a three-pointer. Get it right, and then the next time around, all they need to do is get a two. That usually doesn't happen. That usually doesn't happen. They don't. No, not that. And Sky has a system. Sky says, I like 2-2-1. She usually does pretty good with those twos, and then she gets a couple in a row, wraps it up with a one-pointer. Let's see who people want to pick. P1 Marcos. Good morning, gang. Good morning to you. B-Rob's my horse today, guys. There you go. Nice. You got B-Rob. He's pretty smart. But he's a little shaken after Sunday. He is a little shaken. Ah, somebody will IM him. Hang on the line. Please do. Wow. He won Kent. Hey, what's up, guys? Not too much. Who are you taking? Sky. Wait a second. What up? Wait a second. Ashley is the defending champ. Ash just had her mouth closed and she gave that kind of sideways smile with only half of her mouth that said, yeah, whatever, guys. Stings. Guess this is the way it goes. Hang on the line. Kent, you've got Sky. It's a good choice. I don't need anybody to support me.
Well, Jake supports you. You're playing for somebody. P1 Jake, are you there? Yeah, good morning, guys. You've got Ashley. All right, I believe in you, Ash. How about that, Ashley? Oh, that made her happy. She smiled immediately. Instantly, her face lit up. Thank you. Eddie, what is the prize today? Big prize today. We've got Velvet Revolver tickets coming up in the next couple days. Cool. What about that, though, Eddie? That's disgusting. All right, so I think that last time, I think somebody started. Ashley started first last time. So that means Boston, Rob, you are up. What do you want? A one, two, or a three-point question? Let's go two. Look at you. Well, he went three last time. You should go big, dude. Really messed him up. Throw the Hail Mary. No. Don't be conservative. You worked on Sunday. Are you ready, Rob? Yeah. Your two-point question is...
A tree that has leaves all year round is more commonly known as what? An evergreen. That is correct. Whoa, look at that guy. Boom, right in your face. It is known as evergreen. That's huge. Yeah. Which was also a really good song by Streisand. A really good song. So good. Yeah. We don't need that. That's garbage. Okay. Okay. Well said. I'm going to mace you. Will you stop? Dude. Hey, we want to keep our listeners. Sorry about that. Not bad. I kind of enjoyed it. You're toned out. I am not so bad. In fact, I would consider myself an expert here on this show when it comes to singing. It's a little pitchy. Not good. He sings like a eunuch. Testicles? No, he doesn't.
I actually had him in a vice right there. Ashley? No, Ashley, you're not up. Sky, you're up. One, two, or three-point question, Sky. I want an easy two-pointer like Rob got. I'm just Evergreen. Come on. I don't think this next question is fair because it's too easy. Oh, well, then there you go. This isn't... Because I know she knows this. Well, who didn't know Evergreen? Evergreen. Give me a break. Gosh. What medicine is commonly given to induce vomiting? Epicac? Yes. We just said it. Of course. It's on that Family Guy episode. That's right. Family Guy. Ashley. Oh, I learned everything. Oh, she's got the mouth in the O position. She was slinging the tongue around. Three. Oh, my God.
Who do you think you are? Oh, my goodness. Listen, guys, I'm going to hold the belt. Oh, my gosh. She's calling the shots. Ashley, you can get this. I know. Ashley, who is Sherlock Holmes' friend and sidekick? Sherlock Holmes. Yeah, what is that, Sherlock Holmes? Danity Kane. No. Why did I say that? First thing that came to your mind. Wow. Danity Kane. That's a band, but it sounds right. Work with it. Eddie looks irritated. How come you look irritated? She knows that's the making of the band P. Diddy's thing. I don't know why she's saying it. Maybe something reminds her. Hannity and Combs? Yeah, Hannity and Combs. Just put it on the board. Come on. Is it Grissom? I don't really know that much about Sherlock. Robin. Lou Dobbs.
Mike, is it road rules? Stop. I don't know anything about Sherlock Holmes. I was more of a Nancy Drew fan. Okay, but Ashley, don't you remember when Sherlock Holmes would say, my dear, my dear, it would say the person's name. Friend. What was his big line? It's elementary. Elementary, dear. Why? It's elementary, dear. I don't even know what you're doing. Oh, man. Actually, it was Watson. Oh, yes. Elementary, Dale Watson. Is that about Ty Dan Watson? Okay, don't do that. Now I can all remember that. Stick with Danity King. I don't care, whatever. That was ridiculous. Ridiculous, man.
Boston, Rob? Man, you nailed that. Where's the confidence? What happened to this guy? Rob, what is 2 p.m. in military time? Oh, no. I'm as far away from being in the military as you get. I fought a Marine once. I think it's 1,400. You are good! Put him on the board. Now the score is 18 to 1. Oh, no, wait. That's the Patriots record. Oh, Eddie. No, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I'm sorry, Rob. I looked at the wrong sheet. You looked at the wrong sheet. I looked at the wrong board. That hurts. Yeah. Where are we? They're not tough. The Riz has four points. Sky has two. Ashley failed to score. Sky could wrap the game up right now. Wrap it up. Sky could wrap the game up with one. Come on. You haven't won in a while.
Three-point question. Big prize. Yeah, I think I'm going to have to do it because if I wait until the next go-around, Rob only needs a one-pointer. Totally. He'll probably get that. So I would like a three-pointer, Mike. You got it. Sky at Bunker Hill. Major William Preston. Sky is already looking out into the distance. Blankly. Why is she doing that? Sky at Bunker Hill. Watson. Relax. Listen to the question. Come on. Big prize. Okay, Bunker Hill. At Bunker Hill, Major William Prescott ordered his troops not to shoot till they saw what? Oh, she just got a look like, are you kidding? Offended. Offended. How dare you? My first, I'd have to know what Bunker Hill was to try and figure this out. Ouch. But okay, let's try and make a guess. Yeah, it does sound familiar. You're not an American. I mean, I bet it's in a history book somewhere. Oh, my gosh. You.
At Bunker Hill. You should not vote today because you don't know this. Major William Prescott ordered his troops not to shoot until they saw one. You're not allowed to vote. Black pajamas. Stormtroopers. Asian looking eyes. Lightsabers. Till they saw... Francis Ford Coppola. Till they saw Apocalypse Now. Great. Three times. Three times. Then you could shoot. Yeah, then you could shoot. You had to watch the movie three times so you understood war. And then you could fire your weapon. Till they saw... Uh-oh. The... Come on, Sky, you got it. I think it might be there. Maybe you wouldn't have known that that's where it came from. But you're like, okay, but... You want me to read it again? No. All right. We're not going to help. Not going to help. Martin Sheen. Until they saw the Confederate flag. Oh, no. Bad person. Bad person. That is? Wow. That was a kick in the gut.
No, Sky, don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. Oh, is that like a thing from a movie? Oh, my God. Isn't that in Braveheart? The long speech? I just looked over at Ashley, and Ashley was staring at me so blankly as if to say, I'm just burning up time, Mike. I don't know what you want from me. So what's Bunker Hill? Right now, I'm just waiting for this thing to end. Google it. No, I want to know. Bunker Hill was a Civil War reference. So you were very close. Oh, so I was in that. You were very close. Right, okay. You're very close. Ashley. Yeah. Uh-oh. Oh, man. It was like she just woke up. I said that and it was like, oh, boy. What are you guys doing? Smelling salts under the nose. Come on, Ash. Yeah, yeah. Take a three. Oh, you are good. I like it. I like it. I like it. Get it. Ashley, you can do this one. Get it. Yeah, I know. You've got to think about it, though, kid. All right. Come on. Now think about it, will you? Don't I always? Well, yeah, but sometimes you give up, you get defeated, and you go, forget it. I'm not going to even think about it. It's stupid. All right. But this time, you're going to get it. Yeah. Ash, what was the name given to the day, October 29, 1929, the day the Great Depression started and the stock market crashed? Oh. What did they call that?
She's taking her headphones off. She's squeezing her eyes. She's squeezing her eyes shut. She's got her headphones off her head. It's somewhere popping around in there. She can feel it. She's trying to find it. What was that called? Ash Wednesday. Fat Tuesday. Wait. That's today. Ash, you can do it. Oh, well, congratulations. D-Day. Oh. What is it? I just got an IM from P1 Ryan. I was wrong. Yeah. Bunker Hill was the revolutionary war. That's right. Bunker Hill's in Boston. I was wrong. Thus proving again, I didn't have it right either, Sky. Whatever. Bad American. Same war. Thank you. Boston Rob? The answer to mine. Oh, I'm sorry. The answer to yours was the whites of the eyes. I'm just kidding. The answer to yours was, they called it,
Black Tuesday. Black Tuesday. Matter of fact, when I was in high school in 1987, something real bad happened one day and I didn't understand it because it had to do with money and I was like 15. Something real bad happened one day and they were calling it Black Monday because it was very similar to the Black Tuesday thing. And there's Black Friday. That's right. That's when you go shopping. Well, some people say it's because of African Americans. Well, that's what I heard. We got a crazy caller that said that one time last year. Boston Rob, what are you going to do? Uno. You just need a one-point question here. Do it. Do it. Do it up. I don't think he's going to get this. Really? No, I'm not now. Great. Come on. I don't think he's going to get it. That's a one-pointer. How can he not? Maybe he will surprise me. Boston Rob? Yeah? Who played Hannibal Lecter? Oh, his eyes just got real big. Oh, no. He got very shocked and surprised at the question. Wow. Didn't expect that one there, Mike. I didn't. I want to say Dennis Hopper. That is incorrect. Oh, my God. 18 and 1. Dude, I'm telling you. 18 and 1. And who is it? Wow. Dennis Hopper? I don't know. Dennis Hannibal Lecter? Yeah. Say his name. Dennis Hopper? Wow.
He looks like Dennis Hopper. How do you not know who plays that? Yes, that's right, Ashley. How do you not know? You're so dumb, Rob. So dumb. Kinda. D-Day. What does it sound like? What does it sound like? I don't know. You said Dennis Hopper. Maybe you were right with the last name and it's sounding like Hopper. Down the bunny trail. I don't get it. Hop on down the bunny trail and try to... Oh my, you're so... Search your memory banks and that computer IMC. I don't have nothing. Oh, yeah, they look exactly the same. No, they do. They're the same person. You don't get that? Oh, dude, completely the same. Oh, you are the worst. That's who I was thinking. They get the same exact face. They're very different. They're identical. All right, Sky. Same mother I heard. Come on, Sky. Yeah.
You can wrap it up right here with a one-point question, Skye. Or a three. I thought you had two. No, she only has two points. She missed the whites of their eyes. Skye. Whites of their eyes. You taking a three? Yes, I have to, Mike. Skye. Who knew Rob was going to choke? Oh, wow. Skye, what is the name of a corrective lens for only one eye? Easy. What? There's such a thing for just one eye? Oh, I love her. I love her. Skye just put her hand up like... With all the eyes questions. Yes. I don't know eyes. What am I, an orthodontist? Yes. A floptometrist? What do I look like, Kaunaki over here? Well, I know like a bifocal is for only like half of your eyes. I'm an eyebotomist.
What am I, Dr. Iris? And a contact lens is the thing you put in both your eyes. I'm not Dr. Feinstein. Please. Okay, read it again. Maybe there's a clue in there. All right. The question is, what is the name of a corrective lens for only one eye? A catch? Can you give an answer, please? That's a legitimate answer. You know, the guy from Days of Our Lives, blonde hair. That's only for one eye. That's Kayla. Yes, dated Hope. That's a great guess. It is. Instead of glasses, is it glass? Sky, is that your answer? No, give me a sec. All right. Come on. You can get this. Oh, come on. This should be a one-pointer. It really should. It really should be. Like, am I going to be mad? Yes. I hope so. Yes, I believe you are. Oh, I know what it is. It's the old one-eye collective lens. It's the one-eye corrective lens. Oh, are you talking about like a monocle? Yes! Thinking a pair of glasses for both, like, but only one lens was a prescription. Something that doesn't exist. Yes, that's what I was thinking. Basically, yeah. Patent pending. Patent pending. I'm on it. I got it. Very nice.
Very nice. Well done, Sky. Wow, that was a close one. I almost went with Hatch. Sorry about that. Sorry about that, Marcos, but B-Rob lost for you. Thank you, guys. Appreciate it. Choke. He won, Kent. Yeah. Today is your lucky day, bro. Sky won for you. All right, Kent. Yeah, Kent. Calm it down a little, Kent. All right, Kent. With every enthusiasm you have, tell me what radio station you love. Yeah. All right, Kent. This is The Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. If you want to read our blogs, by the way, you can go to MikeyShow.com. And right now, we got something else up on MikeyShow.com that I want people to know about. If you go to MikeyShow.com right now, you type in keyword vote, and you can tell us who you're going to vote for today. I'm going to go right now. Well, people that have been to the website found it. Because I think I did announce it once. Yeah. But you said you were getting it up. And so for the Democrats, Obama is in the lead. Obama? It's Obama. Obama. Obama.
is in the lead with 25.37% of the votes. Mikey Show listeners that are Democrats prefer Obama. Hey, baby. And Mikey Show listeners that are Republican right now are just by a nose preferring McGain. Yeah. McGain. McGain. M-A-G-A-N-E. I voted. John McGaigne. Yeah. Romney had 26.87% of the Mikey Show listener vote. Yeah, he's a T3. He's the latest model. Yeah, he's not bad. The hair is perfect. You know, polymimetic alloy. What? Not need to upgrade it ever. Once you get it right, what's the point? Clinton, 11.94. So, Obama. Ran away with it with Mikey Show listeners. But we're just starting the voting now. I mean, go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And type in the keyword vote. My boy Huckabee getting slaughtered. 2.99%. Ouch. Which may be his showing here in California. Where's Ron Paul? Is Ron Paul not on there? Once again, dude. That's messed up. No, you didn't do your research, first of all. Second of all.
It's you and the media that are totally screwing over Ron Paul, and it's great ideas. Ron Paul's on there. He's on there? Yep. It's won't be voting. That's all you got to click on. Wow. Now, we do have a space for other, and we have a space for I won't be voting. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, the only people we've talked to on the phone of Mikey Show listeners have been Ron Paul people. Yeah, Ron Paul should be on there. Yeah, we should put Ron Paul because he's got – I think he's got 6%. I think we should put Les Paul. I would vote for Les Paul. Yeah, yeah. That would be rad. So anyway, I thought it would be interesting for us to put this poll up there and for people to be able to kind of get an idea for what Mikey Show listeners are all about. Like what are we thinking if we're a Democrat? What are we thinking if we're a Republican? And so just go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and type in vote in the keyword section. I love America. Oh, yeah. Isn't it great? I love it. Now, you can also type in the word prop or props, excuse me, in the keyword, and that'll take you to information all about these propositions that are coming out today. Sky, I got to look at your – Sky's got some booklets that I did not get in the mail that I should have got. Yeah, they're really cool. They look really cool. I wonder why we didn't get this stuff.
Yeah, we got those. Yeah, there's two. There's one that has, like, the first three propositions, and then the other one has all the Indian gaming propositions, which are pretty much the same. It's just the names of the tribes and the amounts of slot machines are a little different for each one. Ron Paul is now up. Sean took care of it. Oh, there it is, Shawnee. And as people are voting, Obama. Obama. His lead is getting even bigger. Nice. Cool. Right now, it's 26% of Mikey Show listeners. that vote Democrat will be voting for Obama. What about McGain? McGain, for the Republicans, is leading with 29% of the vote, which I bet isn't going to be too far from what happens tonight. Clinton is second for the Dems. Out of Mikey's show, listeners, 10% of the vote. She's the worst. You're the worst. It's not easy.
Maybe we should put Hillary Clinton on there so people don't think they're voting for Bill. I think people haven't figured out. I don't know. I think it's cool. What if 5% of that 10% they think it's Bill Clinton running? I'll vote for him. Even though he's an idiot too. He's the guy that cheats with waitresses from Applebee's, right? I support that. This is very personal for me. Well, I bet it is. Are you guys ready to vote on stuff? Yeah, let's do it. Let's vote on some stuff on the show. Let's get it going. And I'm going to have to write. Now, Eddie, somebody's got to keep track. For or against. For or against, okay? Yeah, let's see. All right, the first thing that we're going to be voting on, you're either voting for or against. The first thing that we're voting on, Katie Holmes and that whole first lady of Hollywood look that she has. My personal thought on this is, who are you kidding? We know that that's all Tom Cruise forcing you to have that look. You're still Casey, or whatever your name was. Macy. Jacy? What was it? Jacy. You're still Macy. You're still Jacy. That was a guy. You're still Pacey. No, Pacey was a guy. He was Joey. Five men in a... Joey is actually a girl. Party of Creek. Party of Creek. No. Party of Dawson. You got that right, Mike. It's okay. What was her characters?
Joey. You're still Joey. Get over yourself. I vote no. I'm against, Eddie. What do you say? I'm really against the new look. I think she's being brainwashed and she's turned into a robot. But that's not the question. The question is the look. I hate the look. I hate her bangs. Oh, you hate her bangs? I hate her bangs. I like her bangs. I hate her bangs. I hate everything about the new look. I think she's a cute girl. Who has become like this old lady. She ruined it. I hate it. Against. Skye? I am for the look because I am into women who dress like grandmothers. I don't. Sean? I am against. I also don't like the robot look. Ashley. I'm four. Her new haircut looks great. These girls. She looks great. Your men here are telling you we hate that look. You're not our men. We are the men in your lives. We know you better than the men in your lives. Not my sweet boy. Shut up. Not my lover lover face. Rob? Against. Against. How about you, Oates? I'm against. She used to be hot. Yeah.
All right, the next item that we're voting on. It failed. It failed miserably. Five to two. Sorry, Katie. Next item up, Ashley putting her dog before people. Wow. I feel strongly about this. Wow. I feel so strong. I am so against this. I am so against this. I am telling you, I want to come before that dog. I don't. Right. We don't. I'm against it. Some people are animal lovers. They vote for it. I vote strongly against. Eddie? I'm actually for it. Oh, man. And let me explain. Let me explain. Let me explain. I think she can relate better to animals than she can to people. She has better communication with an animal than with people. I think she will probably never have a normal relationship in her life. And I think that having the dog will... Supplement that a little. You're voting yes on Proposition Ashley. Is that what you're doing? I'm voting for it. Dogs than people? Skye. I talk for a living. How do you vote on Proposition Ashley? You jerk. Stop yelling off mic. I support Proposition Ashley. I'm very proud of her. This new, you know, all the responsibility she's taking with this dog. She's a wonderful mother to Sammy. Proposition is passing on. And I support it.
It's early, though. Early polls. It's still early polls. 570-1053. I'm going to let a P1 vote. One P1 will get the vote on every proposition. So call us right now. 570-1053. I can't believe in the early going this proposition is passing. It has some early support. Sean, how do you vote on Proposition Ashley? Again, I'm going to read the bill. You're voting either for or against Ashley putting her dog before people. Mike, I am in staunch opposition to this proposition. I believe that animals are a lower caste and that humans always come first. There's no way I can support this. Ashley, you get to vote. Even people running for president get to vote. They get to vote for themselves. I think it's a faulty proposition and it's worded weird. If you're referring to me like... saving and taking good care of my dog's life. Well, I got to tell you, Ashley, I got to tell you, this bill was very well thought out. It's very well thought. It's vetted. If you want me to keep her in the crate until she, like, suffocates to death, I mean, then I'd be against it. There are no air holes in it? I'm for, you know, keeping my dog alive. All right, well, she's for it. Wow, that's weird. Yeah, for it for sure. Boston Rob? I have a dog as well. Uh-oh. You know Rob. So I call that proposition shallow and pedantic, Mike.
What? Shallow and pedantic. What is he saying? He said shallow and pedantic. Is that for or against? I don't understand. I'm not sure. I think he wants to put the dog to sleep. I can't even tell him. I guess so. You're for it. Wow. Zeth? Thank you, Robbie. I vote yes. The dog makes her happy. Oh, wow. This is a shock. We're going to let a listener vote. Mikey Show, are you for or against Ashley putting her dog before people? I am for it. You are for it. Dude. You are for it. Landslide. Landslide, four, six to two. Thank you. Ashley, proposition Ashley passes. Ashley is allowed to put her dog before people. I think it's right. I think it's the right thing to do. I love my puppy. The next one up is proposition cheesecake. I can't wait for this one. You are either voting for or against the Cheesecake Factory's 12-page menu. Oh, easy. As someone with ADD, hello, no way. Eddie? I couldn't be more against this proposition, Mike.
I think it's foolish to try and make so many things well when you could make a couple of things done really well. I don't need to go to a restaurant and have every choice on the menu. Give me a few things and I'll pick. I'm against it. Sky. Well, I think I should say for the record, just so people aren't feeling deceived, that Eddie and I actually co-wrote this bill together. So please take that into consideration when you hear our voting. And I think Eddie said it perfectly. No way, man. Okay. It is the Papani Sky Cheesecake Bill. Well, it's funded by us for sure. Definitely. And I approve this message. Thank you. I'm Edward Papani for the Cheesecake Bill. Sean, are you for or against the Cheesecake Bill? Once again, Cheesecake Factory's 12-page menu. Are you for? Seriously, that is way conservative. It's easily 18 pages. Easily. I didn't want to exaggerate. You're right. I'm not kidding because I remember seeing a 16 on that menu. No, Sean would never do that. I'm looking at his face. He would never do that. We'll see. Sean, how say you?
Everyone knows that when running a restaurant, you should always focus on a few things done very well. However, there are a few instances in which if you do many things very well, you should be allowed to do that. But that's not in this case. It is in this case, actually. You're a fool. Excuse me, I have yet to try something on that menu. You're a fool. Excuse me, that was objectionable. You're a commie. Go to Canada. Fascist. He's saying excuse me. Brown shirt. Wow. I support this bill. Wow. I support this message. He votes yes. Imbecilious. Ashley? As a person with ADD, I enjoy the variety. plethora of deliciousness, and I'm absolutely for it. That doesn't make any sense. I'm absolutely for it. I have ADD, and I can't concentrate on all 18 pages. It's too much. It's not too much. Too much information. It's not too much, because it's like, what do I feel like? And then I go to that section, and then I've got a fantastic variety to choose from. And Sean's right. Everything is delicious. Wow. From the chocolate bread to the chocolate cheesecake. Boston Rob. It's the bread. I love abundance, Mike. That's right.
Wow. Like you could ever afford a cheesecake factory. This proposition is lethargic and rudimentary. Why is he saying these words? I don't know. I vote for it. All right, Rob. Oh, wow. We got a tied bill right now. Seth, how say you? I am thoroughly against it. Yes. I hate it. All right. Mikey Show, who's this? P1 Ray. How do you vote on the cheesecake factory bill? I would vote yes. You vote for it. You like the 12-page menu. Eddie, what do we got? We have a tie. You need a tiebreaker. 5701053. It's the Cheesecake Bill. Cheesecake Factory's ridiculously stupid 18 page or whatever it is menu. You gotta think that if you vote against it, it's gone. Good. Thank goodness. Maybe they'll whittle it down. Then the people would be heard. Maybe take out 18 pages of it. Get it down to like, you know, three, four. Mikey Show, who's this? Rob, I got a response to the Cheesecake Bill. Go ahead.
Cheesecake bill is a negative. Every time you go to the Cheesecake Factory, it's about a six-hour wait. Thank you. If you cut the menu down to something manageable, you might be able to get in and out of there in an hour and a half. Thank you. You know what? That's so true. That's what that line is all about, you guys. It's people sitting there going, can I give me a little more time? Well, it takes me 20 minutes just to get through the appetizers. Thank you. I'm glad. It's out of here. The bill was defeated. See you, Cheesecake Factory. Democracy rules. Alright, you guys ready? The next item, the next bill that's waiting for your vote is called the Eddie Sky Bill. I don't know about this already. And here is the bill. Eddie encouraging Sky to try new foods. I have very strong opinion about this. I believe that it is for the better good. of Skye to try said foods. I have never once in a history of knowing this fine American, Eddie, ever seen him try to get her to try something bad. It's always fair, manageable, and I vote yes on the Eddie Skye bill. Eddie? Well, this is a totally unbiased opinion.
If I can get on my soapbox for a minute, Mike, I'd like to say a couple of words about this bill. All I want to do is improve Skye's life. I just want her to be happy and enjoy things that are delicious and wonderful. And that's part of what America is. I feel that she's not American when she doesn't try these things. And quite foolish, to be honest with you. So I am for this bill. Thank you very much, Duly Noted. Skye. Yes, I would like to say that I believe in democracy. I believe as Americans we have the right to choose for ourselves what's good and what's bad. I would like to cite the great eggnog debate of December 07 as evidence here that it doesn't always work out. Eddie may have the best intentions, but only Skye knows Skye, so I would have to vote no on this. I would say that's wrong. More people know Skye. Sean? What? I have never known anyone to suffer as a result of trying something new and delicious. Did you not hear the eggnog debate? You did not suffer. You did not suffer as a result of that. You actually thought it was good. I was traumatized. I didn't lie. It's too creepy. And for that very reason, I support this bill. Ashley. I've honestly never seen Eddie make Sky try anything that isn't...
like, reasonable or potentially delicious. He's never made her try anything. She's being... Oh, no. Don't pull in the boat. Skye, sit down. I do. That is not... She is lobbying. This is in Afghanistan. In the middle of a person on the floor making their statement that it's unfair. She's a hanging Chad. I'm just standing up to get a better view. You are not. That is not fair, Ashley. You must vote according to your heart. Do the right thing. Eggnog. Please, Ash, do not be swayed. Do not be lobbyed. Do not be swayed. But all you have to do is take a sip. I hated it. You didn't hate it. I did. I don't know. Ashley, I need a four. I'm against it. No, you're not. Yeah, that's my girl. Ashley. Ashley. Unbelievable. Thank you, Ashley. I appreciate that vote. That was unbelievable. That sucks. It's very American of you. Boston Robb. This bill is dubious and aloicious. Why is he doing this? These are big voting words, okay? But dubious? Yes. Oh, absolutely. Super Tuesday. Break out the lexicon. Exactly. I am voting for this. And on the terms of Sky's suffrage, I vote against that. Thank you. That doesn't make any sense. Zeth, it didn't used to affect me until I saw her not eating ice cream. So I have to vote yes. Wow. Hey, dessert.
hater. Finally. This wasn't about me. You don't know how I feel. You're a victim of the same thing. You're a victim of the same thing. It wasn't about me. You're beating up on your own people. Thank you. Thank you very much. Eddie, how'd it do? Six to two landslide. Thank you very much. We have some more bills. Quick timeout, and you can call us and participate. 570-1053. Sky, try this trout. It's raw and smoked. You have to. This is William Shatner. You're listening to The Mikey Show. Featuring my good friend, Sean. I've heard every episode of Star Trek. Standing up. And just getting out of the hospital, Amy Winehouse is planning on attending the Grammys this weekend. Wow, a lot of people watched Super Bowl XLII. It broke the record. It is the most watched Super Bowl ever, beating the Dallas-Pittsburgh Super Bowl. That was 96? Yeah, I think so. I watched it at your place in La Mirage. That is right. It's a good place. Good for us single dudes, you know what I mean. Couple of single guys on the prowl. That's what we were. I have a funny story about living there. I'm being completely honest. I believe that at that time in my life, I was a little naive to certain things. I was naive to certain things. And our friend Amy came over one time, and I had a roommate. And my roommate was this gal, and she had red hair. And I very rarely saw her. She was very rarely ever there.
She was there. Amy and I were hanging out. We were watching TV. The redhead walked in the house and went directly into her room. Amy saw her walk in. Amy says to me, what's up with fire pie? I had never heard that in my life ever. I've never heard that in my life. I go, what's a fire pie? Amy's like, and i kind of was in where i could see and i saw her like look out like what was that yeah never heard it in my life and she was like had to explain it to me and i was like oh my gosh
Can I tell you a funny story about me visiting you at La Mirage once? Shit. Oh, yeah. What is it? What is it? I was parked in that dirt lot that was in the center. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because there's not a lot of parking there. Right, right, right. So I had to park in this dirt lot. I don't know what we were there. Now it's all built up. Oh, is it? At the time, it was dirt and they were building stuff there. And so we were there for a party you were having or something like that. And I was driving my sweet Beretta at the time. And the Beretta, what I originally bought in Rochester, New York. So there was a lot of like rust damage to it from like the bottom and stuff like that. Right. And one day after a party at your house, I went and I was going to my car, opened my car door and my car door fell off. Are you kidding me? Completely fell off. And so I ended up driving home, holding my car door barely on so I could at least get home. But it was completely off. That's crazy! It completely came out. It was like Boston Rob at the time. What did you do? Did you have to drive it to a repair shop? I had to drive it to a mechanic, a repair shop, and they fixed the hinges because they were rusted and they completely just fell off.
It was unbelievable. I thought you were going to tell the story about beating me at Madden 95. Oh, that was a great story. We can tell that one. We were playing Madden. Bad memory. We were playing Madden, and Mikey was never able to beat me. Well, one time we were playing, and he actually had the lead with like two seconds left to go in the game. He just scored like the go-ahead touchdown. Kicks it off to me. I ran the kickoff back for a touchdown to beat him. I threw the controller down and walked out the door. I didn't say a word. I didn't say a word. It was the greatest moment in gaming history. I was screaming at him out the door. You son of a... Oh, that was great. It was fun times. Let's move back. I know it. I know it. I remember having a Christmas party there, that lock. came to. Do you remember that? I remember this. Locke. No, not John Locke. He's actually a Vietnamese. Oh, I've heard stories about this guy. Yeah. Hi, dude. What's up? White is sounding Vietnamese. White is, I mean. What's up, brah? I have a story about Locke that has to do with Eddie. Tell it. Tell it. We're all roommates. Was it me or was it you? I actually do not remember. The sandals thing. Oh, he said it to me. He said it to you, right?
Or I said it to him. Yeah, you said it to him. I said it to him. Locke was our Vietnamese friend. But he talked like this. He talked like a surfer. It was really cool. And we didn't know him that well, but we were getting to know him. We were pretty good friends with him. And we felt really comfortable with him. Well, one day he walked in the front door and Eddie says to him, Hey, dude, I thought you were supposed to take your sandals off and leave them at the front door when you come in. Hey! I'm trying to figure it out. I didn't know his customs. It's a lot going. Hey, dude, what's up? Why do you have to say that? That's racist, bro. What's up with that, dude? That's kind of racist because I'm Vietnamese. That was a good one. It was funny. Do you remember the girl that sang the national anthem in the house? Yeah. What? The girl that we lived with a girl. Eddie and I lived in a house that was like the real world. Yeah, very much so. It was on Marjoram Drive. Here in San Diego over by State. Del Cero. How old were you guys? Del Cero. Young. Yeah, I was 23 and Eddie was like 24. It was 93, 94. 94. 94. It was 94. Wow. So Eddie was like 21. Wow. And I was 24. And we moved in. We didn't make any money, man. Neither of us. We were making no dough. And we were working at KCBQ. Modern oldies. Oh. Oh. And it was Royce and Mike in the morning and Eddie produced a show.
Nice. And I was making money. I was making less. And we had to live in this house. And there were six people in the house. And we kind of were all together for a very long period of time. But then there just started being turnover. Well, when we originally moved in, I mean, it really was like the real world. Because there was every race and two girls. And they were like. beauty queens. One was former Miss La Mesa. And one was Miss Congeniality for La Mesa. It was weird. There was so much dynamics going on. Plus me and Mike. And so we had this one roommate and she was the one that walked nude from the bathroom to the bedroom one time. But one day when she thought... We all knew what our schedules were. Everybody knew when somebody was going to be home and when somebody wasn't going to be home. And she thought that the house was empty. And I was sick that day. I was home. I never left. And when I left, I always closed my door. And so my door was closed as normal. And I started hearing something. And I was like, what is that? And I opened the door. And at the top of her lungs. Jose, can you see?
She was singing the entire National Anthem, so I stood outside. She was in the bathroom. So I stood outside, and when she finished, I went... We had another roommate that we will not mention. Oh, the vampire? Yes. We had a vampire. We had a roommate that had a fictitious friendship with Tori Spelling. That's true. Same one. She was a vampire, and I believe she was friends with Tori Spelling. And she would tell us that she knew Tori Spelling. On a regular basis, she would say that she knew Tori Spelling. And would talk about knowing her. And it was very serious, you know. And I remember one time she even said, hey, do you want to come with me? Tori is having a party on a boat in Mission Bay. And you want to go? And I was like, yeah, sure. Knowing that in an hour it would get canceled. And it did.
You know, obviously. Right. Because she didn't know Tori Spelling. Oh, weird. And so one day, one of our roommates, Monique. Monet. Monet, who was one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life. Black girl. Black girl that talked like this. Very white. She was extremely white. We all had a dry erase board to write down messages that came in on the one single phone line that we had in the house. And so one day, Monet wrote up on the board to this person. Tori called. And she came in. I remember her coming in and seeing it. We were all waiting for it. We were all waiting. We were all in the living room waiting. And when she first came in, she didn't look and we were irritated. And I remember Monet being like, hey, it was so obvious. Hey, have you looked at the board? And so she looks over at it and she just looks at it for a second. She goes, Okay, cool. How long ago? Oh, shut up. You did it. Brilliant. You got to give her that. That's fantastic. Oh, genius. And she thought she was a vampire. Great. It was a great house. She really thought she was a vampire? Yeah, she would talk about, like, vampire stuff. Mm-hmm. Well, you know, it's a different time. Wow. The myths. Mm-hmm. Interesting. She's a day walker. Oh, my goodness. We got a blur! Am I forgetting anything big? About the house? Mm-hmm. They had a cool pool table.
Played pool a lot. Played pool a lot. Listened to the Rand Man on 92.5 The Flash. Yeah, he was great. I think that's it. There was always fights about the laundry. Like who would leave stuff in the washer and dryer and stuff like that. A couple of very dramatic drunken trips to Tijuana. Oh, yeah. Very dramatic. Very dramatic. My first time in Tijuana, I almost got arrested. Lots of drama would go on. People mad. Do you remember the time when all of us roommates drove down to Rosarito? And we wanted to have lobsters. And we did. And we had lobsters and had some beers and whatever. And there was about eight of us that went down in two cars. Well, four people got in one car and four of us got in the other car. Well, the four of us that was in my car, we spent all our money. And when you're down that far in Mexico, you got to pay a toll. We had no money for a toll. It's only like 75 cents. Not one of us had $1. So we were like... Dude, we didn't know what we were going to do. So we had to search the car for pocket change just to get back into the States. It was crazy. Idiots. Fantastic. Fantastic. Should we have to break? We talked the whole time about more. Living in the house. Living on a ranch. How many bedrooms did that house have? Five. Was it, Eddie? Yeah. How many bathrooms? Only two. Whoa. But I had my own, which was rad.
All right. Were you always in that one room? I was always downstairs. The downstairs room? It was kind of the community one, but it was mine solely for like... I eventually moved into Shannon's room and took the master. And I had the big boy room. That's why I was dating Chandra. Oh, I know. I was below you. All right. I mean, I was in six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on the station. Now we got you guys on all anything and stuff like that. For a Dodge Ram. And I went to AIS. I got renter's insurance and auto insurance for $116 a month. Really? So you combine them? Right. So I'm saving about $4,848 a year. $4,048 a year. $4,848 a year. Oh.
I forgot $800 in savings. It's almost $5,000 a year. Dude, that's incredible. And they brought my wife and I dinner, too. We were newlyweds. They bought a new truck and tried to start a family. And $600 a month just wasn't doing it for insurance. Tell people that are listening right now that if they decide to finally pick up the phone and call AIS, it's going to be great. Oh, yeah. And then we're going to let you vote on them, and the one that you like the most is going to win a high-definition camcorder. Maybe make one of those political campaign ads. Yeah, why not? That would be cool. That's a great idea. See, I mean, that's what Eddie just said is kind of one of those ideas of kind of latching on to something that's going on. We're seeing a lot of those right now. That would be a great idea. Sky suggested one time, what if you did like a mock-up of Cloverfield? Yeah. That's a good idea. That'd be rad. Uses a video camera. So whatever you come up with, just come up with something clever, interesting, whatever. Three minutes or less and send it to us. So are you ready to get back to voting for some things? All right. Let's do this. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah. I just wanted to let you. Sky knows something about those Valentine's Day bears, but there's a couple of them that they don't sell anymore. One of them is the I Love Ham Bear, and the other one is the... I can't say that one. Ha ha, you're down. But the first one, he's absolutely right. The I Love Ham Bear is off the market now. They had it such a... It's not that it's off the market, they've just sold out. Well, all to one person. Yeah. It's weird. Yeah, they made one large order of 9,000 of them.
To one particular person. Yeah, that's so funny. And since then, it's just hard to get it. Mikey Show, hello. I like him. Hey, Mikey. Yo. Hey, man, did you watch the Super Bowl? Of course. It was wicked sweet, wasn't it? I thought it was wicked sweet, yes. Hey, man, I got to talk a little bit about that guy, Bill Belichick. Go ahead. That guy's a real piece of butt butter, man. What is your team? Chargers, come on, man. Chargers, gotcha. So sorry they didn't make it, sir. We beat you two years in a row in the playoffs. Don't be better. We ended in the same spot, though, basically, Rob. Not champions. Yeah, but we made it. Doesn't really matter. I did think that Belichick's sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off was hideous. Oh, I didn't like that. Red wasn't his color. That's why they lost. He wore red. Just hideous. That was bad. That and Rob. Don't. That's cool, bro. All right. I'm going to throw out these bills and I'm going to let P1s vote on them too. 5701053. So I'll let you... Person gets to pick one. Okay. What do you guys think of the under 12? Anyone under 12 owning a cell phone? Oh. Hmm. I vote unequivocally yes. Oh.
On the under 12. Cell phone. I think it's a matter of safety. I think it's good for kids to have cell phones. Some people say, no, I'm really against it because they're too young. Shouldn't have it. But I say, I think it's a safe thing. Eddie. In the bill, is there limits to the cell phone usage? See, that's the interesting thing. This is the way that it's presented. It doesn't outline any rules. Might be a bad bill. And so I got to go for it because even though I know that there may be text messaging involved and there may be, I got to say, well, overall, I want to feel safer as a parent. I think we can do better. I think there's a better bill out there. So I'm going to vote against it. Sky. Yeah, I would prefer some verbiage in the bill about restrictions. But at the same time as a parent, I know I could probably buy a phone and get restrictions on it myself. So I will vote for it. Never thought of that. Sean. I think it's up to the parents to impose or not impose restrictions on it. So I vote for it. Ashley. I vote unequivocally no.
I just think that's unnecessary for a child that young. As long as the parents are involved in that kid's life, there should be no problem about not knowing where the kid is. Have you talked to your significant other about this? Because if you feel differently, you've got to get that out of the way. You need to have those conversations. You need to have those conversations. Before the person you're in love with. Okay. Lava. Lava face lava. Lava. Boston Rob. Like Sky, I'd like some verbs and nouns in the bill, but... I think I'm going to vote for it as long as we get some restrictions. All right. Zeth? Yeah, same as Rob. Yes, with the restrictions. And let's take a listener. Who's this? P1 Sky Lover. P1 Sky Lover. How do you vote a 12-year-old having a cell phone? Negative. A 12-year-old does not need a phone. That's just bad news. Eddie? Even with that vote, it is passed. Five to three. There you go. All kids under 12, get them. All kids? Wow. Geez, that's a lot of cell phones. The next one is the Ikea, Bill. I have feelings. What? This is the Ikea taking you hostage once you enter, Bill. Because once you enter Ikea, you're not allowed out. No. Really? No. Did you know this? I'm going to admit something right now.
You do. Shut your mouth. Eddie, don't say it. Shut your mouth. I have never stepped foot in an Ikea store in my life. It's a special place. Really? The whole thing of having to put your own stuff together, that's not for me. I'm telling you, it's... You know what you love about Bed Bath & Beyond and stuff there? It's like that on steroids. Oh, yeah. It's like that on steroids. But you have to put everything together? You do, but it's not as... No, no, no. I'll pay the extra money. I'm telling you. Do it for me. Read my blog. You'll find out what I mean. It's so easy. It's so easy. But there's stuff that you don't have to put together. There's plenty of stuff. Are you sure? I'm positive. Pillows and rugs. I can go to Triple B for that. But let me tell you, Eddie.
Let me tell you how this works, though. How dare you? Ikea. Yeah. There's one entrance. Yeah. And there's one exit. Yeah. And they're on opposite sides of the building. So when you go inside, you can't get out. Yeah, it's like a little town. You can't get out. You can't walk all the way over there. You have to. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That would be easy. No, Eddie. If you could go in and then just walk straight across the building to get out, that'd be great. No problem. It's a maze. Yeah, it's like you walk in, you go up an escalator, you're now on the top floor, and all the displays are literally like a maze, and then you finally find your way down, and then it's a maze to get to the registers and out the door. Like, if you wanted to go in there, you can't go in there and go, oh, I want to go to this section. You've got to walk through. No, I don't like this. No, dude. I know how crazy it sounds. You've got to. Go there. It's really overwhelming, Eddie. Yeah, there's a lot going on. I think you would like it. It's too much. I hate it. Wait, you've never been there. You haven't even been there. Well, I vote no on the Ikea bell just because I wish I could get out, but Eddie, how do you vote? You don't. Obviously, you're going to vote no. I don't know that I can have a vote. I've never been, so. Undecided? Yeah, I vote undecided. Sky? See, I'm torn on this one, Mike. Because you love it?
Because, yeah, because I love it. I love seeing all the stuff. But, yeah, sometimes I just want to run in and grab something and get out. But at the same time, the marketing genius behind this. It's brilliant. Because when I go in for one thing, I end up buying, like, ten because I'm passing all this. A hundred. You buy a hundred things. Yeah. Because you go, oh, that looks good. Oh, I want one of those. So does my. And the prices are great. That I've heard. I've heard that their prices are really good stuff. It's great stuff, and it's priced right. Those Swedes are smart, man. They are. Okay, so just to clarify, a yes vote means it stays the way it is now, and no vote means they have to change it. Yes. I will vote yes. Wow. Keep it the same. Wow. Sean. I'm actually going to have to vote no, just for the fact that I can't pronounce a single thing in that store. That is true. Ashley. I definitely say no. I think it's unorthodox. I think it's like a little town and it's too much. You're not an Ikea fan? It's very overwhelming for me. I do not like it. Not a fan? Boston Rob, you ever been there? Once. What'd you think? It was confusing. Very confusing. Great product. Oh, by the way, if you don't know that's the deal, you're screwed. You're frightened.
If you wouldn't have told me that, I would have been like, where am I? Not to see you for three weeks. I'm living in the Ikea. Remember when I lived in Carmel Mountain? I didn't own a piece of furniture. Nothing. And somebody told me about Ikea, but at the time it was in Tustin. So I had to drive to Orange County. No idea. So not only am I in a strange city and a strange place and I don't know where I am, I walked into that store and I thought I had to call search and rescue. It's on the phone at 9-1-1. It's not easy. I furnished an entire apartment on like $700. Couch, coffee table, rugs, everything. Rob? No. You vote no. Oh, wow. Zeth? I vote no. I went in there for a trash can. I was there for three and a half hours. It's true. Mikey Show, who's this? This is Barbie. Barbie, how do you vote on Ikea taking you hostage once you enter? You know what? Because there is a way to avoid the hostage route. What is it? Right when you walk in the door, at least in the San Diego store, if you take a hard right, it gets you right down to the section of where all the aisles with the bin numbers are and where the registry is. So only if you go upstairs.
stairs do you get caught in the maze. Yeah, but you have to go a hard right, go to the bookshelf, pull the second book on the third shelf out, a secret door opens. You have to give the password. Yeah, right. And if your foot's not raised, forget it. Thank you. This is crazy. Okay, sorry. So how do you vote? That's crazy! I vote yes. Alright. What is it, Eddie? It is two, four, five against, one undecided. Oh. No good. See ya. The next item up is called the Boston Bill. Oh, no. Oh, no. Interesting. You have my attention. This bill states that Boston Rob, during a five-week workweek, can only wear Boston apparel two days out of a five-week workweek. Strangely, I'm going to vote no on this bill. The reason that I vote no is... I don't think he's mature enough to handle it. I don't think that he's reached a level of maturity that if he was forced into that, it wouldn't psychologically do irreparable damage. He wouldn't be able to recover. Well said. Ouch. I'm going to vote no, Eddie. Shockingly, I am also going to vote no. Wow. Because, A, he doesn't own anything else. So you would have to...
Buy all new clothes, which he can't afford. Or rocket naked. You know what I'm saying? No, thank you. Whenever I do see him in quote-unquote normal clothes, I think he looks weird. It's like calling Ashley Sarah. It feels wrong. And I think he looks good rocking the Boston gear. So I'm going to say no. Sky. I, as well, will vote no. Wow. Just for the fact that I don't know if I would recognize him. CNN. He's got the tattoo. The tattoo. CNN would be breaking into news right now. Right. To report on the current status of this bill. I mean, it's in his name. In a shocking move. Sean. Actually, I am going to vote for the bill. Yeah. I really want to see more of the high-low. Oh, well. Ashley. No, I vote against it. I like that he represents his city. Rob? Of course against it, dude. If I come in here with, like... Oh, I'm for it, actually. I wish I would change. If I, like, wear a college shirt or something, I look like a defendant, so... Seth? I vote no. He's got pride, and I appreciate it. Mikey's show, it doesn't matter, but how do you vote? How do I vote? Yeah, with Boston Rob. I vote for him being able to wear his Boston stuff. Soundly.
Wow. Only one vote for, so clearly. Soundly defeated. Yeah. Next up, Denzel Washington playing anyone who inspired ever again. Thank God this is on there. Wow. Wow. No way. I am so against it. You're over it. I'm sick of it. I'm over it. Now you're a debate coach. I mean, are you kidding me? How many times? What coach have you not played? The only coach he hasn't played is the guy on Cheers. That's the only coach he's never been. Eddie? Well, he hasn't been a coach of the ping pong team yet. Ping pong. Ping pong. I'm really going to have to do some research on this because he plays it well. I mean, it's not like he doesn't. I mean, I get inspired every time.
But then I do like his roles, you know, like in American Gangster and Training Day and, you know, that kind of stuff. So, boy, that's tough. I'll go against it just because I think the guy is talented and I think that he can diverse, be more diverse. Diversified. Diversified. Well said. These are the movies where he has played someone inspiring. His first inspiring film was Glory. His second inspiring film was Malcolm X. His next inspiring film was Philadelphia. His next inspiring film was Crimson Tide. His next... You can't put that in there. Oh, he was that guy. How was he inspiring? Wasn't he the U-boat captain that was... He was the good guy. Just because he's a good guy doesn't mean he inspired anybody. Beg to differ. What does he inspire? You not send nuclear weapons? All right, I'll take it off. His next inspiring character, the Hurricane. Oh, well, yeah. His next inspiring character, remember the Titans. Oh, no question. His next inspiring character, John Q. His next inspiring character,
Man on fire. Definitely not an inspirational role. Definitely not. Wait a minute. He played like a drugged out loser bodyguard. His next inspiring character, the great debaters. Oh, yeah. So 105 inspiring characters. I don't remember what he did in Antoine Fisher. Sky, how do you vote? Yeah, he was an inspiring therapist. Oh, wow. In like training day, wasn't he? No, he was a bad guy. He was? Yeah, I vote no. I think we're good. I think he can stretch his wings a little. Diversify. Yeah, and make it more diverse. There you go. Thank you. Sean? Can I have the wording of the bill again, please? The wording of the billing is Denzel Washington playing anyone who inspired ever again. Well, considering that I loved all of the movies that you mentioned. Come on. Really, really good stuff. I vote for... If you vote four, then he can't ever do it again. I'm not against. I'm against. Ashley? Yeah, I'm against it. I don't have a problem with it. It doesn't bother me. Rob? Four. Zeth? He can't do that anymore. P1 who? P1 Brandon. How do you vote? It's actually not about that. You guys are kind of... It's an official process. How do you vote on the Denzel bill? You know what? I gotta tell you something. I hate to go off topic, but dude, you got... What is the problem? You're voting on
the Denzel bill. It's Super Tuesday, people. One more time. Coming out of the record. Yes. Hey, never again. Down with Malcolm X, brother. That was weird. I don't know that we should count that vote. Well, it's tied, so. We have to have a tiebreaker. We're going to need another vote. We're going to need a bigger vote, you said? Yes. Mikey show. Your guy's electronic stuff is messed up. That's what I'm trying to tell you. The what? Your guys, I don't know what's going on, but some of your words that you guys are saying are doubling up. You can ask your P1s. I know they can hear it. Something's wrong with the audio of the show? Yeah, your guys' stuff is doubling up sometimes. Ask the P1s to call in and tell you, but it's true, dude. Do you know what that is, Ashley? It sounds really crappy, actually. Yeah, I just checked it. Rob, come in here and hit this, hit stuff so I can hear what they're talking about. Take your time. Oh, no. Yeah, Mike, I'll be right there. Oh, we're doubling up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hit the... I don't know what you got to hit so I can hear what's going on there. I think you can listen to the air feed. Let's see. Hello, testing. Hmm. I don't know. We can have somebody come look at it. All right. We got to take a break, though. So... And, uh... Well, let me see what people are saying. Mikey Show, do you hear something weird on the air? No, not at all. That's why I was going to let you know. You guys sound fine. No doubling up? No, I haven't heard anything like that. You guys are fine. Ashley, what did you hear?
I heard it sounded like off like staticky and it was a little bit like there was breaking up a little bit. So I'm having Ron Food take a look. Mikey Show, who's this? Do you hear what that guy's talking about? No, actually I don't hear any of the doubling up. I don't hear the background noise. Mikey Show, do you hear any weird staticky doubling up audio on us? Yeah, it sounds like a CD skipping. Every now and then, one of the words you guys will say, it'll repeat right back. Sounds like a skipped CD. I'm telling you, man. Something is up with this studio. Sounds like an STL problem. Totally. It's an STD problem. Yeah, St. Louis problem. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rates apply. It's the P1 Text Army. This is a Mikey moment. 300 season ticket holders have lost their season tickets. Most of the fans have been ejected from Qualcomm by police or security over the past couple seasons, and they say that violates the team's code of conduct policy. Listen, man. Go ahead, Roddy. He was the drunk one, man. You were not drunk. Not at all. Ten beers. Just ten. Maybe eleven. I don't remember. Wait a minute, Rowdy Charger guy. In this sheet of paper here, it says that one time you urinated in the stand. I accidentally kicked a twelve-year-old in the head. That was an accident. Rowdy Charger fan. An accident. No, you gotta go, bro. Welcome back. It is 936. A judge ruled yesterday that Britney Spears' dad will remain in charge of her estate. Another judge ruled that Michael Vick can keep all but 3.75 million bucks of his $20 million in bonus money.
For real? Yeah. Allergy stuff acting up. Are you feeling sick? No, no, no. It's like my eyes, man. My eyes. My eyes. My eyes is going crazy. I don't know what it is. I feel like I just want to keep, like, they're itchy or something. Yeah, just keep rubbing them. That'll help. It is good, right? It's really good for you. A solution for it. Yeah, I'll fix it. It helps. It's Super Tuesday, and I think somebody was on our voting thing and voting for Ron Paul 950 times. What a surprise. Well, Sean changed it so you can only vote once now because that guy that calls us all the time and says, Hey, Ron Paul. Ron Paul. Hey, Ron Paul, man. Yeah. I think he went on there and voted 950,000 times. Yeah, because now Ron Paul has 1% of the vote since he reset it. I just took that one dude's out.
You did? Yeah. So after you took that one guy out, that's what it is? That's what's left. Oh, my. All right. So we have like kind of an accurate reading here. Yeah. Okay. So let's see. What we did was we put keyword vote at MikeyShow.com. We let people go on there and just tell us who you're going to vote for today. And you could put I won't be voting or other if your candidate isn't listed. But what we did was we just put all the different candidates that are going to be up for grabs today. For the Democrats, we put Obama. Obama. And we also put the Clinton. And that's it because in the Democratic Party, it's the only people left. Yeah. That's it. That's true. And then... They're dying off slowly. The Republicans, we have, of course, McCain. Yeah. He's the front runner. McCain. McCain. McCain. And then...
Ramney. Ramney. And then, go ahead. I was just going to say, don't forget Habakkabee. Yeah, Habakkabee. So you have McCain, Ramney, and Habakkabee. And then you have Ron Ball. Ron Ball. So you can vote for McCain, Ramney, Magagabee, or Ball. Or Ball. Or Ron Ball. Ron Ball. All right. So, for the Republicans, Mikey Show listeners prefer John McGaigne. Yes! John McGaigne. It's a better America. Romney came in second with Mikey Show listeners, 15% of the vote. Obama. Huck came in third with 6.7% of the vote. For the Dems. What do we got, Mike? For the Dems, Sky, it's... I mean, a landslide for Obama. Obama. There we go, Obama. Oh, Susanna, I want you Obama for me. Because I come from Barack Obama with a banjo on my knee. Well said. Clinton was second with 12% of the vote. Ouch. Surprising. Landslide. Yep. Bet that's the way it goes today, too.
Let's just tell you a bunch of news that's going on because we haven't hit it for a long time. So I want to tell you a lot of news that's going on. Skye, what are the latest polls say today? Okay, well, there's quite a few big polls out there and they're all kind of different. But as far as the Democrats go, pretty much most of the polls show Clinton winning. The one poll, the CBS News poll, does show a tie. But the rest of them show Clinton winning. Sorry, Obama. Obama. We tried, Obama. Yeah. Because you come from Barack Obama with a banjo on your knee. And then on the Republican side, they show... I love to sing, by the way, Scott. Well, you have a beautiful voice. A lot of people tell me I have a wonderful singing voice. Yeah, that is true. And then on the Republican side, the polls all show McCain winning, except for one poll. McCain! McCain! McCain! Is McCain the lead? The Rutgers C-SPAN poll actually breaks it down by state, and their poll shows that Romney leads in California. You're stupid.
Which is, you know, I've never heard that, but yeah. Yeah, I've never heard that. I supported McCain. Yeah. Yeah, McCain. Yeah, he can't lift his arms up. Why? Well, he's a good American. He got tortured, you know. He's a hero. That's why. He was tortured like any good American should be. Like me. Yeah. Can't you hear it in my voice? Uh-huh. You were tortured? Well. Yeah. Sounds like my vocal cords have been tortured. What? You've never been toichied before? Are you Jewish? I'm toichied. I didn't know I was a Jew as well. Yeah. It would be the opposite. Yeah, maybe. Well, okay. I'll go looking through my closet. Back to the news. Find some stuff that maybe isn't the most politically correct. Step. Step. Step. Goose it. Step.
Goose it. Step. Another time. Yeah. Yeah. Now I love California. Good American, man. No more jackboots. I'll tell you what, though. They're like mirrors. Yeah. They have to be. Yeah. Not one scuff on there. Otherwise, you have problems. That's right. Big problems. Google. Okay. Google. Lindsay Lohan told the UK version of Glamour magazine about her life in rehab and said it was really hard. Yeah, and it's been for Lindsay Lohan. It's been really hard for her since she's been out. Well, yeah, she's drinking. That's true. She says there's lots of friends, that it's hard for her to be around because their lives are now on a different path than hers. I'm drunk. But it's hard for her because she's a very kind person and she really wants to trust everybody. Or a pushover.
Unfortunately, we live in a world, Ashley, where you can't trust everybody. People pleaser is more what it's called. Oh, wow. And she understands what people like Brittany and Amy Winehouse are going through and she feels bad for them. I think she'll get an Academy Award for this picture. She goes on to say she's not going to say that she'll never go to a club again because she'd be lying if she said that. Saying it from a club. She made that comment from a club. I'm drunk. Sky has new releases, everybody. Oh, look at you. What have you got for us? Whatever, you don't get it. Okay, video games. We have Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. We have Turkoc for Xbox 360, PS3. I think it's Turok. Turkoc. Turkoc. How do you even talk? You are okay, isn't that how it's called? Ladies and gentlemen, Turkoc.
It's out today. I want to enjoy everyone. And that's an adult only video. Rated mature. That is a good one. Did I mention my husband is over time? Whoa. Anyway. That's one hell of a joystick. We have twisted metal. I mean we drive a Mini Cooper. That's all I'm saying. Twisted metal. Head on. The only point I'm trying to make. Extra twisted edition. We drive a small car. On a PS2. Try this at home, ladies. XX Aero. The Spiderwick Chronicle. Circle, circle, circle. For the Xbox 3 CS2. Talking about an Easter egg. Presents American Idol for Xbox 360 and the Wii. And finally, My Horse and Me for the Wii. Speaking of. Yeah.
It's the same game. It's a little different. Let's please move on to the new CDs out today. Please. Please. A little decorum. Thank you. Ah, yes. The horse and me. Just put it in. This is level one. This must be from Donkey Show. New CDs out today. That's not a barrel. We have Lenny Kravitz. It's time. Are we just moving on? Yeah. I guess so, man. I guess so. Was that the whole plan? Forget it. Oh, definitely. Smart. Lenny Kravitz, It's Time for a Love Revolution. Yeah, I must have misunderstood where you had him. I thought you had him. Okay, I found it. I found it. Is that it? This is the newest single. That's a good song. Really? That's real good. His mom was on the Jeffersons. That's true. She was in an interracial marriage and her husband's name was Tom. And he was...
White. British? Was he British? No. No, no, no. But they picked the whitest actor they could have. I mean, whiter than Ted White. He's white. Also out today, we have Jack Johnson, Sleep Through the Static. Here's something from his album. How many times were that? Oh, it's so good. It's so good. Over and over. We get it. You love Curious George. In the eye. We get it. You're falling asleep. Makes me think of Hawaii. It's called If I Had Eyes from that new album. Also out today, we have Sheryl Crow, Detours. I heard this is a real good album. And I also heard that her biggest hit ever was that album...
With all I wanna do. Tuesday Night Music Club. There it is. Eddie. Puff Eddie, what up? I'm a big fan. Same dude is producing this album and everything I've ever, everything I've read about this album is like as many stars as they can get. Vomiting listening to this song. She's way better than Fiona Apple, I'll tell you that right now. It's a proven fact. Unless you're a cutter. That is true. I mean, that music is about that. I've got the scars to show. I'm sure you do. Eddie and my wife got into a big argument about... That was a big debate. It was a giant debate because my wife is a big Fiona Apple fan. And she thinks it's very smart music. Your overdone mascara is running. And Eddie likes Sheryl Crow. And my wife says, yeah, well, she's ridiculous and that music is meaningless.
And the lyrics are meaningless. It's catchy. It's catchy. She says you want to know a real music writer. Listen to Fiona. What the hell? How about this one, though, Eddie? This one's got to sound better, right? This is from the Munsters? No, it's Adam's family. Give me a pro diddy. I like this one. Give me a pro diddy. Equal time, man. This is awesome. She just woke up and she's like wearing that white beater. Rolling around on the ground. What is this? I love that voice. I love that voice. I'm telling you, I love it. I would prefer an original. We're going to do something strong enough, maybe. Great one. Yeah. Come on, ladies. What's up?
That's stupid. Yeah, this song doesn't mean anything. Feel like hell tonight. Rage I can. I think my wife's wrong about this one. I think Sheryl Crow's a good songwriter. Yeah. Oh, no. I bet. What about this one? Great tune, man. Great tune by Sheryl. Everybody knows her. Man, I do have a real respect for her music now. Oh, yeah. I'll tell you real, but you don't care. Yeah. I say tell me the truth. What kind of music is this? Rebecca said to tell Eddie, put on your poncho by Sheryl Crow. Brilliant lyrics. Let's listen to these. Genius ditty. Nails painted black enough. Sky, you know every word. I didn't know that. I didn't know that you knew. Well, I don't know the obscure stuff, but yeah, I know the hints. Sky has her dark days too.
Yeah, if I was on a desert island and I had to pick between the two, I'd pick Fiona. I think I'd go, that'd be tough for me, because I like Fiona. You could have either catalogs on a desert island. That's an easy one. That's tough, man. You know why it is? Yeah, exactly. That's the thing. See, if you decided to take Sheryl Crow music, you could be uplifted at some point. You take Fiona, you're drowning yourself in the ocean. What a cunning word. Think about doing it right now? Rebecca says, play that entire song and listen to the lyrics. Yeah. What for? Aw. Eddie is not a fan. No. What are you going to do? Apparently not. Sky, you've gone through CDs, right? Well, there's one CD left. I just read Heath Ledger's journal. Wow. Too soon? Too soon, you guys? I don't feel like it was. Too soon? I'm not making a joke. Too soon. All right. Okay. What if that was actually what was in the day? I wouldn't be surprised. Aw.
Sky. Okay, and one more CD left if you want to get your groove on. Step up to the original soundtrack. Lots of jam. There's one. Hip-hop dance. That's right. She's the most popular that I recognize. When we come back, we're going to play P1 Trivia and someone will get to come into the studio on Friday. Stay the whole show. We'll see you. We'll play P1 Trivia right after this. Who's the man? The new AT&T. Your world delivered. Offer ends April 30th, 2008. Jack, I want to drive the bus. Every year about this time, a winning head coach gets a Gatorade cooler dumped on his unsuspecting head. Not a water cooler. Not a cooler of some other sports drink. Gatorade. Why? Because Gatorade has earned the right to be on the sidelines. And for one good reason. Nothing rehydrates, replenishes, and refuels more effectively. And no water. No water with vitamins. No other sports drink on the planet has the optimal formula of Gatorade. Water for rehydration. Electrolytes to replenish your body. And the right carbohydrates to re-energize when a team uses Gatorade. You're looking at the new Super Bowl champion. For themselves. Wait, it wasn't even time yet. That was not even appropriate. It's KIOZ San Diego. Hit it.
Well, he already did. Sean blew it. Sorry, Mark. Premature hitting it. Go, Sean. I want my wife to do what your husband's doing for you, Skye. What? Do the proposition research and tell me which one to vote. Oh, well, no, we did that. It was just the picking the presidential nominee. You had him pick the president. Something not important like that, huh? Yeah. But I took my monthly bath yesterday, and when I was in the bath, we were reading the propositions together. Who's we? You and Tango? No, me and the boo. What the heck goes on at that place? Dude, it's strange things. I love it. She's in the bathtub, and he's reading her propositions once a month. Sounds sexy. Yeah, he was sitting on the deck of the tub, and we were talking propositions. Oh, man. Any little bubbles? I'm a lady, Mike. That's inappropriate. moment. So we got it all figured out. We do. He's telling you who to pick. Obama? Better than Hillary. Yeah, we figured that he'll have a better chance going head-to-head with the Republicans because the Republicans are kind of apathetic about Obama, but they'll come out to vote against Hillary because they hate her. Absolutely, I will. Well, you have to ask yourself if you were voting today. I am, Mike.
That's Barack. I am Barack. Barack Obama. Obama. My headphones on to do my Barack Obama impression. Since I don't really have one, I have to take the headphones off so I don't hear myself. Makes it way worse. Well said. Thank you. What does he say? Oh, if you're voting in this election, you need to ask yourself if you are going up against John McCain and he says to Hillary, you voted for the war. You're going to have to ask yourself. Do you want to vote for somebody that knew not to vote for the war from the very beginning or did vote for the war and now takes it back? That's a good argument. I'm voting for you, Dr. Phil. Chris Walken. Thank you. Yes, that was Chris Walken. Mikey Show, hello. Are you calling for P1 Trivia? Hello. Yes, may I speak to you, please? Who? May you speak, please? Hello. May I speak to you? Hello. Oh, hello, hello, yes. Hello, hello, yes. Come in.
Yes, KIOC FM. Broadcasting live from here at Mount Soledad. Coming in live to all your radios out there in Radio Land and in the San Diego metropolitan area. Hello. Yes, coming in to all those cities up in North County. I'm talking about Vista, Escondido. All of them. And then all the way down south to the Otay Ranch Mesa. All of you. Hello. Come in, come in. Yes. Hello. P1 Bathhouse. Oh. Oh. You ready to play? I'm ready to play, man. Do you know who has got a slave? Do you know who's most open? Think you're in the... I'm going to appreciate that. This is P1 trivia. What do you say? I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. You're very welcome. 570-1053 is the phone number. All right, P1 Bathhouse. We just need a girl to call in. A girl? Yeah, we need a girl to play Bathhouse. A girl? It's not easy. It's not easy. It's not easy. Yeah. He shouldn't be running. What? Uh... Thank you very much. Love it so much. She was pretty cute, too. Did you ever see a picture of her? Yeah, she was. She's cute. Yeah, she really was. I don't know what to do around girls. Okay, so we got Bathhouse. I think we got a girl that's going to play now, too. Alright, cool.
And what we do is we're going to ask you one, two, or three-point questions. Ones are easy. Threes are hard. First person at five points wins and gets to come into the studio. We got her. P1 Spartan. Hi, guys. How are you? Okay. P1 Bathhouse. How old are you? I am 34. How long have you been listening? About two years. Two years. How about you, Spartan? How old are you? I'm 24. How long have you been listening? Two and a half years. Two and a half? Whoa. Cool. Hey, Bathhouse, you think you know the show pretty good? I think I know it relatively well. How about you, Spartan? I'm rocking this game. Oh, look at this. Okay. Guys started first last time, right, Sky? Opposite. Girls start first? Yeah. Don't worry. Eddie checks on me every time. It's okay. I now have to keep a log of who went first when. That's right. All right. P1 Bathhouse? Yes, sir. You will begin. What do you want? A one, two, or three point question?
You know, let's start off with a two. You want a two-pointer. There you go. Your two-point question is, who from the Chargers broadcast occasionally stop by the studio on Mondays? Occasionally stop by the studio. Oh, Viscursion. I'm the dude, the little, uh, the broadcaster. Are you? Well said. Yes, well said. Are you okay, brother? Can I steal? Five seconds. Five seconds. announcer we have, and he comes in once in a while. Sorry, dude. I want to give it to you, but you'll be there forever. You're going to kill yourself when I say it. I know. Josh Lewin. Marry me, please, Josh Lewin. Marry me, please, Lewin. Marry me, please, Lewin. Alright, P1 Spartan. P1 Brain Fart. Alright, P1 Spartan.
What do you want, a one, two, or a three-pointer? Give me a two, guys. Give me a two, guys. Your two-point question is, what furry costume did Sean enjoy wearing? Um, a panda. That is correct! A panda. A panda. A panda bear. Yeah. A panda bear. Yeah. Yeah. It's more like a panda fur. That is true. What? P1 Bathhouse. Well said. You want a three-pointer? Wow. Give me the three. You got it. What is the name of the ultra-deodorant that Ashley was using to solve her sweat problem? It's a hard question. It's got the funniest name. I don't even know if I know this. Degree? As soon as I say it, you're getting... Degree. It is not degree. Degree? Oh, please. Believe it or not. I just didn't know any deodorant worked on her. It doesn't. It doesn't work. It doesn't work. However...
The product DrySol. Like Lysol, only dryer. Like Lysol, but dryer. DrySol is the name of the product that she used. Let's see. P1 Spartan. Are you going to wrap it up with a three-pointer? What do you want to do? I'm so scared. Give me a two. Your two-point question is, what football player does Eddie have a man crush for? Brett Farm. You got it! Give it. Give it number four. Give it number four. Put her on the board. Okay. Give it. He's rugged, isn't he, Eddie? He's rugged. Marry me, please. Oh, Fabra. Fabra. Marry me, please, Fabra. Marry me, please. One more. Well, I got to do it again. Marry me. Fabra. Fabra. You're in a bathhouse. I'm like your main dude. There you are. Well.
Looks like there's no hope for me anyway. Just give me a two. Give me a what? Give me a two. A two-pointer. It's not going to matter anyway. She'll get the one. All right. Your two-point question is... Give me a two. Your two-point question is... What member of the Mikey Show is accused of being a hothead? Well, a hothead would be Rob. That is not a hothead. Huge hothead. Such a hothead. Whatever. And an arborist. He is an arborist. He is an arborist. P1 Spartan, you can wrap this game up with a one-point question. A woman. Say that again. I said I'm so excited I'm going to scream. Give me a one. All right. Your one-point question is... That actually has two answers. I was going to give you one, but that one has two answers. All right. Here we go. Now even...
listeners are giving me this kind of effect. Well said. Who on the show did Ashley make cry? Oh, my God. The baby of the show, Seth. Wait a minute. What did she say? Wait a second. What did you say? I said the baby of the show, Seth. Beth, B-E-T-H. Oh, Beth. That is perfect. You're right. You're right. You're right. Oh, that is my girl. Oh, so awesome. He even rubbed it in by calling him Beth. We have a winner. Yay! Give me a three. You know what? I'll tell you what. I'm going to give you... I'm going to make it as fair as I can, Bathhouse. All right, man. I'm going to give you a one-point question. If you can answer it, you can come in. A one-point? A one-pointer. Oh. All right? You know what? I hear you. I hear what everybody's saying. I think, to be fair, we should make it tougher.
Right in between a one and a three, we'll give you a two. Okay. I'm going to give you a three, but go ahead. Cool. You just won yourself a three-point question. You sure did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think this guy. You got it. Come on. You answered this correctly. You can come in. If you don't, you cannot. Are you ready? I will get into this to you guys. Okay, go for it. Who on the show vows to never go back to the movie theater, but still goes? I want to say it's either Mikey or Eddie, and I'm going to say Eddie. Dude, I say that all the time. Sorry about that, Bathhouse. Blew it. Bathhouse, I'm sorry, bro. It was Mikey, I knew it. Whatever. Okay, cool. Thanks, guys. Sorry, man. I feel so bad. I feel bad. Spartan, you're coming in. Yeah, thank you. Thank you so much. You guys are awesome. You're welcome. We'll see you on Friday, Spartan. Perfect. Oh, my God. I love you guys. Hang on the line, okay? I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. I feel so bad for Bathhouse. I do, too. Hey, man. Hey. You gave him a chance. He calls in all this. He could have got a two-pointer, and he was overconfident. Dude, I was going to get my one, and then I kind of felt bad. I don't know why he did that. Like, what was he thinking? Mama, please, Bathhouse. I don't know why he did that.
You don't have to be bitter. Do you know what his name is? That's funny. Karma. Karma? What's going on? Eddie said that... What'd he say? Well, he said he's got a thing about leftovers. Holy cow. What? I absolutely do. I don't like them. What? What is it? I don't like leftovers in the first place. If I like the meal enough to have them as leftovers, I'll eat them for lunch. I will never have them back-to-back days for dinner. Like that's weird to me. And when I do, which we did last night, I feel like I didn't even really have a meal, like a real dinner. Like I felt like I didn't even have dinner last night. I 100% understand where you're coming from on this. I think there's certain things that people have like a sort of frustration with in the food regard. And for Eddie, it's leftovers. Now, I will say this.
There are certain things that keep that are. Is there anything that's more acceptable to you as a leftover than something else? Oh, yeah. See, but even that like I can eat pizza as a leftover, but I don't know if I even want it for dinner the next day. The following thing. Let me tell you something. If you eat any of the following things as leftovers. I believe that there are some serious mental issues in your family. Wow. Are you ready? Oh, no. What? French fries? No way. Oh, yeah. If you reheat French fries, there's something up with you. I agree with you. I don't trust you. Yeah. Ashley, I know she does. I know she does. I don't eat French fries. Gross. Fattening. Oh. Whatever. So you've never eaten french fries? Yeah, you've never eaten french fries. Yeah, you've never had them. Never had them, right? Never had them. Never had them. In love with them. You're such a beanpole. Here's another one. It's not so bad on a cookie sheet in the oven.
Oh, Skye. I'm just saying. Spread them out on a cookie sheet in the oven. She doesn't do that. Are you that cheap? She doesn't do that. She doesn't do that. Like, if you go to McDonald's and you had leftover french fries, you would save them and put them on a cookie sheet? And put them in the oven? No, not for McDonald's, but if I go sit down in a restaurant and I have a whole bunch of leftover french fries, I'll take them with me. No. I've never done that. You really, ugh. Ugh, you are disgusting. So that's one. I mean, they're not my favorite, but it can be done. The other one that you should never reheat and do as leftovers, and I don't care what it is, is seafood. It doesn't matter if it's a piece of fish, a hunk of fish from a restaurant, whatever. I'm not mad at that. Yeah, I'm not mad at that. You just got to, like, rebake it the same way you think it's prepared. Rebake? Because most of your seafood is baked. It is. It is.
Does cat food count? So gross. Yeah, because I have a cat, Sean. But you eat cat food. Yeah, like, you know, last night I rebaked some trout. No, but I'm going to have leftover sushi today for lunch. Leftover sushi? That is so gross. Dude. That is disgusting. Who wrapped some sushi? Can I get this yellow tail to go back? Can I get a barf bag for this? Hey, can you wrap this hand roll for me, please? Oh, dude. Gross. Hey, you guys. Have you ever reheated unagi before? If you haven't had eel the next day, I don't want to know you. I'd like to save this salmon skin for tomorrow.
Yuck. Y'all are tripping. Y'all are tripping. Something else that you do not reheat. It doesn't matter what way it came to you. I don't want to know anybody that will eat eggs as leftovers. Scrambled eggs, fried eggs. I agree with you there. Don't go to breakfast and take your eggs home. The Skye, is that it? Skye. I remember one time, I think we were in San Jose. She saved. Some disgusting egg thing. It was a breakfast burrito. It was? I remember it being like eggs and chicken and like. Oh, yeah. The scramble thing that I used to do. It was like a skillet and it had chicken breast on top of it. Oh, that's right. She like saved it for like two days. Yeah. That's so fast. Gross. Do not save. You know, I almost say don't save breakfast. Because I cannot see reheating pancakes in the microwave. I'll save. If I have leftover bacon or sausage, like the meats, I'll save. Yes. Spam. How about ham, guys? I could eat that for weeks. I do. And gnaw on the bone. I've been living half of it for 30 years. Shut up. Yes.
The same piece of ham. Well, yeah, I used to have ham in a bottle. Like the song from Christina Aguilera. Hammy in a bottle. Hammy in a bottle now, baby. That's a really steep rhyme. If you want to eat my ham, then you better be with me. Stop before you regret it. I got your ham in a bottle. You gotta ham me the right way. Stop it. You're ridiculous. P1 J-Bone's on the line. Finally. What do you do? J-Bone, are you... J-Bone. Stop saying that. Oh, no. Yes, yes. Oh, no. Yes, going all the way into Alpine today on the Mikey 690 broadcasting live. No, we're not on that. Hello? No, we're not on that. Hello? Yes, coming all the way into Alpine and beyond. Hello out there on Radio Land. This is the Mikey program. J-Bone. Mikey. Yep. You can reheat french fries in the toast.
Why? Why do you want to? No. It's over. It's over. It's a one and done situation. You're going to make them. But steak fries, even McDonald's fries in the toaster oven will work. You're crazy. You're going to make them hard and gross. Hard? Yeah, they harden up because you're cooking them more. Did you overcook them? Dude, they were deep fried to begin with. Then you're heating them back up. You've never done it. You don't know. Sky. That's vile. P1 Joe wants to tell us what not to reheat. Go ahead. Yeah, Mikey. Refried beans, they're so disgusting when you reheat them. I would think that that could get kind of gross. I don't have a problem with that. Eddie says he's fine with them. I've done that before. Yeah, I have too. Yeah, maybe a little soy sauce in there. There might be okay. What the hell? What? Did you say soy sauce? I beg your pardon? Soy sauce makes anything taste good. I'm sorry, what? Thanks. That's so gross. You know how there's people that don't put ketchup in anything? I put Tapatio on everything. That is maybe my least favorite hot sauce ever. That orange Tapatio. So good. I wish we could make Ashley cook you dinner for like a week. For like a week.
I don't have that many meals. I don't have that many meals, but I could do one night. I could hook them up pretty fat with this delicious, healthy, nutritious meal. It's impossible. It's impossible. Everything steamed in the microwave. Ashley sent me a steamed tuna zucchini cake. How bomb would that be? I'm going to throw up. Sounds so good. Ashley has the craziest taste. Well, she has no taste. I like everything. Everything that a cat likes. A feral cat. A starving feral cat. A domesticated cat would not eat her food. They'd stick their nose up on it. The cat would starve to death. It would die. Use it for a litter box before it would eat it. The cat would be laying there Not able to move from weakness and look up and be like, I can't eat it. Ashley's making tuna cakes again. No. Kill me. The cat would be standing over her tuna cake and going like this. Every time the cat wants to eat some, it's like... It's like fear factor for cats. It'd be like, sweet death, take me now.
It's a cat-tastrophe. Joe Rogan is standing above the cat. If you could just eat this one tuna cake, you're gonna win! Cat's like... Thank you, Sean. Sean. I had to turn his button off. He's just getting a kick out of it. Look at him. P1 Chris. Hey, what's up, Mike? What's up, dude? Hey, I thought just last week or so, Ashley mentioned that she gets pizza once a week and reheats it the other day. Dude, Ashley exaggerates, though. Like, everyone's her best friend. I get pizza at least once a week and eat it all week. I get pizza once a meal. I get every meal at least. A side of pizza. No, on a normal week, I will. The pizza guy's my best friend. I love him. I love him. Yeah, Ash, you say you get pizza. I love you, Domino Joe. You get pizza once a week?
On average, I'll get it like once a week. But you just were talking about fattening, disgusting French fries. Yes. But you'll eat pizza? Yeah, pizza's cool. What the hell? It's my one vice. How many days out of the week, Ad? That I eat pizza? That's my one vice. Well, I haven't eaten it for a while. Probably two weeks. But I would say probably like two or three days out of the week, I could stretch it out. You must go in a litter box. You are a feral cat. I haven't ordered pizza in a couple weeks, so. What about your new, very close personal friend? Is he a cook? Does he cook? I hope so. Have you cooked for him? Why? Why? No. I don't know. How would I cook? She's trying to, like, get with him. She's courting him. I've baked cookies for him, like, already three times. I'll hand her that. A chick can bake. Wait. Yeah. He says it's the best cookie he's ever had. Yeah, he likes you. She makes a nice cookie. Mike says that, too. I like her cookie. You said it's the best. Easy, dude. Eddie calls them. Easy, bro. Eddie calls them cakeies. Because Eddie feels that they have more of a cake. She's gotten better. I'll give her that. But she's got a ways to go. That's cool. She's trying. It's your opinion. She's trying. It's your opinion. I'm giving you props, bro. So you have not made food. You have not made food for the new fella. No, but he cooked for me. What did he make? He made chicken.
And vegetables. Now, see, you can always tell if somebody's not much of a cook if when you ask them. No, that's what I wanted. They'll just say chicken. That's what I told them. They can't tell you, like, what it was, really, or how it was. Oh, me, yeah. Yeah, he seasoned it and stuff, but I don't know what it was. Just a chicken breast? That's all you did? Well, no, he, like, I didn't really watch him when he was cooking. Yeah, but you ate it. Yeah, you ate it. You don't know what was in there? It was, like, three weeks ago. It was, like, flavors. There was some kind of marination going on. Oh, boy. Forget it. Lemon marinade. I don't know. But it was good. He's a good cook. Thank God. At least your kids will be good. It works out. That's right. Can you please stop doing that? You know what? Mikey Show. 570-1053 is the phone number. We gotta go. Gotta go vote. Yeah. I don't think we ever got DVDs. Oh, we didn't? Uh-uh. I'll give them out. Okay. New DVDs out today. I don't think there's anything. We have the brave one, Jodie Foster. What is that? Pass. Anybody? That one where she plays like a tough guy and goes killing everybody. Emily's on the line and she said that she just had breakfast. Did you just have breakfast? Yeah. And you're taking it home? Yeah. What did you get? I got eggs, potatoes, and pancakes. And it's in like a white styrofoam container?
Yeah. Really, was that good? You just have to have it again tomorrow. Throw it out. It's going to be terrible later. Hey, they're starving children places. Is that good? Mmm, I have to have this again tomorrow. Oh, it's going to be. When are you going to eat it? Tonight or tomorrow? Probably in a couple hours. That's good times right there. Thank you. That's Emily. Okay, so the brave one. We also have Elizabeth the Golden Age out today. What is that? Kate Blanchett. It's actually a sequel. Yeah. Okay. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I want to see that. I wouldn't mind buying that. I mean, it is boring, but the performances are outstanding. I heard it's supposed to look really good, too. It looks great. Across the Universe out today. What is that, anyway? Isn't that that Beatles musical? It's like a musical all to the Beatles songs. Musical romance. Evan Rachel Wood. I don't like musicals. Except Grease. Grease is cool. Sandy. Also out today, we have the Jane Austen Book Club. Anyone? Shut up. Emily Blunt. No, okay. What is this? Feast of Love. Morgan Freeman. Greg Kinnear. No? Okay. What? And then for the kids, we have the Aristocats out today. That's a dirty movie. You don't want kids to see that. No, that's different. That's different. And then we also have Snow Buddies out today. It's like rocking and rolling. Sandy?
It's like weird. It's like I work all day on my hair. You hit it. That's not the right movie. You hit my hair. Yeah, you're doing it wrong. Remember when we were up against Skynetti and the Geese competition and we beat him? And we beat him. We won. Didn't we win? And we beat him. We lost. It was rigged. How did we not win? I did the George Fulton session. I know, but they were acting like dummies. Remember? They were acting, oh, let's put on a funny show. Oh, no. Funny show. It's called B. Nailed it. Yeah, we did. It's called B. Put on my black leather pants and my blonde curly wig and I play the Olivia Newton-John part. Wait a minute, that's not greasy. If you can do it, I can do it. Fine, I'm going to do my phenomenon lines. You just shot Marvin in the face. You just shot Marvin in the face. It's standing in my front yard that says dead N-word storage.
I love those Pulp Fiction lines set in the Ashley voice. The best. And finally, TV shows to DVD. Third Watch, the first season. Third Watch? Perfect Strangers, the first and second season. Ooh, finally. And Beauty and the Beast, the final season. That was a great show. Why didn't you just tell me the wolf was on the job? Mikey's show. Anyway, you can do a drama queen song. Yuck. Yuck. 570-1053. That's going full. We gotta go vote, man. It's a read-up. 570-1052 and we gotta get out. Mikey Show... Phones have really been on a roll today. They're all messed up, man. You can't take it. P1 Irish is on the line. What's up, Irish? What's up, Mikey? Hey, I was just wondering after the Mikey Show election today, when are you guys gonna institute common foods with Skye? I would love to, bro.
It's like Bizarre Foods with Boston Rob, but you just have normal food and have Skye eat it because she hasn't eaten half the stuff in the nose. Can you imagine common foods with Skye? This week it is Vandekamp's fish sticks. Something so normal. Cream of mushroom soup. Yeah. Too creamy. I would love that idea. So good. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. It's Poo and Josh. I just want to say that actually it's disgusting. That sushi is, like, the worst for the next day. I could eat it every day. I was practically raised on it. I would never reheat it or anything like that. I mean, I don't even know if you can reheat it, but that rice. You don't heat sushi. It comes out cold, you idiot. Hey, so, Ash, so you take it home, like, in a white styrofoam little box. Yeah. And then you, and then the next day. Put it in the fridge. The next day you take it out. And you eat it. And, Eddie. Walk through this with me. The rice is all hard and crunchy because it's been in the fridge. What about the fish? Don't even. The fish, man. It's all fishy. You open the refrigerator and you laugh. Fyoshi. Mikey Show. Hi. I wanted to...
say that, you should probably give Across the Universe a chance, because I think you would love that movie. You're so cute. A lot of guys actually love it. What is it? What's in it? What? What's in it? Like, I mean... Well, it's like, it is a love story, kind of, but the visual effect... You would love it, Mike. No, really, like, the visual effect, and it's really, really, like, trippy, and it's all based on, like, Beatles songs. I took a bunch of guys to go see it, and they all loved it. I wouldn't suggest that the fact... Oh, look, a floating cat. Yeah, like they're singing a Beatles song. I've heard it's great. Like, I've heard amazing things about it. Me too. Do we know Mike? This is the first time we've met him? Yeah. Don't you guys think Mike would like it? Really? How do you think I would like it? Because my friend who described it to me went off about it. I've known the guy 25 years. I can guarantee you he'd hate it.
so much more than the musical aspect. He doesn't like musicals. Cool. You'd appreciate it. Have you heard any of it? You can try, Mike. I think you'd like. Do you guys remember this scene in Love Actually where they got married and he had all the different people singing this song to her as they were walking out? And it was so phony and fake because that would never happen in a million years. Maybe I changed my mind. One day. No, I don't. For sure I don't. Because it's not the Beatles singing. It's better. It's them singing. Have you heard it? It's better, Eddie. It's unknown. Have you heard it? Have you heard one song? Have you heard one song? You haven't. No, I haven't. I'll love it. Let's go see it. Let's go see it. Michael Clayton and Cross Universe. I don't care. Mikey Show. Yes, go ahead. You're on the air. I got a question for Ashley. She says she keeps her dog in a cage when she's gone. A kennel.
It's right, a cage. Something like that? A crate. It's called a crate? Does it float? Oh. I don't get it. You know where he's going. We didn't put that in her head. I don't get it either. Let's hang up on her. That was one time, sir. It was one time. You know what, man? She doesn't make a practice out of it. She doesn't do it like... Horrible. It's not like her thing. It used to be. It's not her fetish. It's not. She's not like on Flood's websites. Maybe. We don't know. I don't know. Listen. To each their own. Mikey Show. Hey, I was wondering if Eddie ever went to go see No Country for Old Man yet. Yeah, Eddie. Eddie! Listen, listen. Hold on. Hold. Hold. Hold. I went online and looked for it. It's not playing in any theaters near me. The closest one was in La Jolla, and I was running a bunch of errands and stuff on Saturday, and it was too far. It wasn't playing at Mission Valley. It wasn't playing at Fashion Valley. Just last week it was playing in Mira Mesa.
I didn't see it there. Maybe you should look again. Sorry, man. I wanted to. You want to make a trip down the Palm Promenade and see that? No, I'm not going to. The Palm Promenade. Where is that? It's off 805 on Palm. Almost next to Mexico, I guess. Yeah, I'll head right down there. It's worth it. No. Yeah, it's worth it. No. Bring your passport. I want to see it. I know how we can decide. Let me flip a coin. Yeah, I get it. You've already ruined the movie for me. Flipping of the coin isn't necessarily... Yeah, it gives away the whole plot. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey, I got a copy of No Country Old Men for you if you want to watch it. Actually, it's on this website that Zeth gave to us. Oh, yeah? But I would definitely take a copy. How's it look? It's DVD quality. Bring it over. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, we can't confirm or deny that we ever received it. We won't watch it. Yeah, we won't watch it. That'd be illegal. That'd be wrong. That'd be wrong. Hey, I was listening to you guys when you were in Dallas about five years ago, I guess. Yeah. Who was on Dallas? I forgot who was on the show. Me, Eddie, and Boy Blunder. Boy Blunder? That's what it was. Okay. All right, guys. Chubby face. I love it. God, that's great. All right.
That's great. Love you in San Diego, Mikey. Thank you. Appreciate it. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today on the Nooner, we all request lunch hour. See you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out. Go vote. Love your mouth.
