It's a Mikey show, and it is 6.06, and phone lines are open for you at 570-1053. And we want to talk to you. We want to say hello. Hello, hello, hello. So call us, 570-1053, and we will get this puppy rolling. We're trying to get the text. Don't worry, it's close. We're very close. We're about to get the deal done. Yesterday, I wrote down a number on a piece of paper, and I just slid it across the table over to Sean, and I said, take a look at that number. What was that? Just tell me what you think. What was her reaction? She threw up. Oh. I don't know what that means. She threw up. I didn't know what it meant either, so I just walked out of the cafeteria. Sounds like you won. It sounds like you won. Cafeteria. Poway High. Poway High Cafeteria. That's where we met. That's where you do all your negotiations. That's where I do my business meetings. That's where I ask our agent to meet me. Okay, good. And we're going to be discussing high-priority items. Oh, well, good. So that was very nice. We have something up on the website. Eddie, have you seen it? No, I didn't see it, but I mean, I'm getting a lot of reaction from it. Dude, let me tell you. We put Mikey Science Theater 3000, the first ever Mikey Science Theater 3000, up on the website yesterday. Yes. I got this message from our program director, and I could...
Probably play it for you. I'm saying probably because I don't think she said anything bad. Oh, gosh. You never know with that one. Huh, Mike? Where is it? Oh, man. I don't think it's on here. That's a bummer. She asked if she could be on the show. She wanted to be a member of the show. And I said, why? And she said, because I just listened to Mikey Science Theater 3000. And it sounds so fun. I want to be. I want to be your guys' friends, and I want to be on the show. That's cool. That's sweet. And what it is, is it's this, it's the same thing as Mystery Science Theater 3000. Me, Eddie, and Boston Rob, we watch an old, you know, like 1950s movie, like little film reels. Yeah. It's like, you know how when you hear the 28-hour show when we goof on movies? Yeah. That's what we're doing. Yeah. Awesome. We're making fun of what we're watching. But they're like these old, like,
You know those newsreel type things where they tell you how to be popular? Yes. Stuff like that. Something you'd watch in health class back in the 1950s. Yeah. It's great. And we just make fun of it. Yeah, we goof on it the whole time. How did you watch it yesterday? The Mikey Science Theater. I watched the first part of it. I mean, I was sitting in there, so I overheard most of it. Did you watch it? I watched it. Did you enjoy it? I did. All right, good. Did you LOL? Big time. Big time. Big time. Big time. Big time. Mikey Show. Yeah, this is P1 Set Free. What's up? I got a question. That morning song that you used to play, was that off of Clint Eastwood's High Plains Drifter? It was off Clint Eastwood's The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Yes, sir. Okay, thank you. You got it. Yeah, that song is called The Ecstasy of Gold, and we do still use that. but we use it when there's kind of big news because it lends itself to good audio clips. Did we ever get this fixed? I sent a help desk. Can you send another one?
Yeah, it's like a didgeridoo on the line. It's a direct line to Australia, to Perth. It's like every morning I answer calls and they all come from Perth. That is sweet, dude. With an aborigine sitting Indian style. Throwing boomerangs at us. Throwing boomerangs at us. Five people on the Mikey Show. Me, Eddie, Sky, Ashley, and Boston Rob. We all vary in age. I'm the oldest. I'm 38. And the youngest is Ash. She's 25. And then we all fill in ages in between. And then we have two guests in the studio today. We have... That's right. You know what we have in here today? We have a lot of Ubi. Well, we got Scooby and we got Woobie. Yeah, we do. There's a lot of Ubi in here today. P1 Scooby, P1 Woobie. And a P1 is a Mikey Show listener. So when you're a Mikey Show listener, you are a part of a very exclusive club. You make new P1s. A family. That's right. That's right. It's the Mikey Show family. 570-1053 is the number. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, yeah. Is this still like the free comment time or whatever? Yeah, yeah. Go ahead, man. Cool, man. I wanted to...
Say something about like he's, I don't know what you call it, like Christian time at the end of the show last Friday? Yeah, the testimony? Yes. Yeah, for those of you that don't know, at the end of the show, I tell the story of what's happened in my life and how ultimately God changed my life. Go ahead, man. Okay, well, I'll be sort of honest with you, man. Last Friday when you said, you know, you were talking about how God puts direct things on your heart and specific things in your heart and you feel the need to talk about it. Yeah. And you mentioned prostitution. I myself had been involved with prostitution and just, you know, made some bad choices and such. But my base values are Christian. I was raised Christian, grew up in Georgia, Southern Baptist, all that good stuff. And when you said that, like, my jaw just hit the floor and it amazed me how God, you know, still works and still can speak through, you know, sources that you never thought possible. Wow, dude. That's really awesome, man. That is really awesome, dude, and I'm thrilled to hear that, dude. I'm thrilled to hear that. I'm going to be telling my wife this story later on. All right, man, I just wanted to share and just let you know that somebody's listening and you are affecting people. Oh, brother, you don't know. You would never have any clue what kind of an impact what you just said makes to me. It just makes a big impact, and it means a lot to me right now.
It means a lot to me right now. Thank you so much for calling and saying that, dude. Hey, thank you, man. That was really cool. And I thought he was going somewhere else at the beginning of it. Right? I was kind of bracing myself, you know? I put my Hans device on. You guys can't see this, but I put on a Hans device with a helmet, and I really strapped it up really tight because I thought, uh-oh, I'm about to hit. Which I thought was weird. Yeah, it was weird. Why is he doing that? Yeah, I thought, are we going to hit the wall here? But that was great. Thank you. 570-1053 is the phone number. So the octuplets' mom says, I want two mil if I'm going to talk. Right. Two million dollars if I'm going to talk. And we were kicking it around in here, and I said, well, who would be crazy enough to pay them two million dollars? I said, if they really wanted to make money, if money was the issue, why not just say, I'll go on a whole bunch of shows. You can give me, you know, 50K or 100K. I don't know. But two mil seems like a lot. But she's doing an appearance, right, Sky? Yeah, you'll see part of it this morning on the Today Show. She sat down yesterday and did an interview with Ann Curry from the Today Show. And basically part of that will air this morning.
interview will air on monday and dateline nbc will also air parts of it on tuesday night um but you know the today show claims they don't pay for interviews um but what i had heard from you know people commenting on her wanting money and not getting any nibbles is that she needs to do like a high profile interview kind of as a freebie to give the media a taste. Oh, so they could see how good it's going to be. So they pique the interest. Got it. It's like a heroin dealer. Yeah. A little taste. Right. Oh, yeah. I like that. Well, you guys remember when we had the man on the show who him and his wife and his kids survived the plane crash into the Hudson River? Yeah. Which, by the way, we have the cockpit audio from that flight. Coming up later in the show, Eddie, it's good, dude. It's just it's it's one of those deals where you're listening to it and you're just holding on to every single word. But that guy that we talked to, we talked to Eddie got this dude the day after. OK, the day after the Hudson River crash, we had this guy on and he was he was pretty decent interview. I mean, nothing spectacular, you know, not that bad. Later on that morning, we see him on the Today Show.
Terrible. His kids are making so much noise. It's so distracting. It's just an awful interview. And I thought to myself, I wonder if other news agencies are watching that going, let me see how that went. I don't want to talk to that guy. And it was just kind of an underwhelming interview anyway. You know, they'd ask him a question and he was like, yeah, I guess. So if you haven't heard about the octuplet mom, she was the second woman in America to give live birth to eight babies at once. But what has got everyone talking is it turns out that she is a single mother. She lives with her parents. She already had six children at home previous to these eight new babies. And all of the babies were conceived. but conceived. No, you were right the first time. No, the first one was correct. Conceived by in vitro fertilization. He played for the Lakers, by the way. Do you remember him? He wore the goggles when he played. Kassim Abdul-Jabbar. Isn't he the special team star of the San Diego Chargers? Yeah, yeah. Kassim Osgood. He's really good, bro. Number 81. Kassim Osgood. Okay, whatever. You know what I meant. He's the father of the octubre. No, he's not. That is unbelievable.
Huge news. Get on this. Oh, my gosh. Come on. In vitro fertilization through a sperm donor. So that's got a lot of people talking. So she does tell Ann Curry that, surprise, surprise, she says she had a dysfunctional childhood. Oh, wow. Is that talking to anybody? And that she has longed for a certain connection and attachments with other people that she really lacked while she was growing up. Again, surprise to anybody. So, you know, there was lots of talk. How did she get this money? If she's living with her parents, if she's going to school, how does she have the money to do all this in vitro stuff, which is really, really expensive? Well, through looking into some of her records that have been made public, she has received over $168,000 in disability benefits because of an injury she suffered back in 1999. after a riot broke out at a mental hospital that she worked at. Dude. Holy cow.
So, you know, they're not specifically saying that she paid for it with that money, but that is a good chunk of money when you're living at home with mom and, you know, all these things. $168,000 over since August of 2001 is when she started receiving that money. And then they also say that she also received an undisclosed amount of money after getting rear-ended in her car in 2001 while leaving a doctor's office for her injuries from the riot. and then claimed, hey, I suffered this car accident because I had to go to the doctor's office because I was involved in this riot. So got some more money that way. But like I said, clips of the interview will be on the Today Show this morning, the full interview Monday morning, and then Dateline Tuesday night. Wow. Very interesting stuff. I'm going to watch it. Please, of course. 570-1053. And you can give us a call. And any of this stuff we're talking about, you can comment on. P1 MacGyver's on the line. Oh, MacGyver. MacGyver. No, MacGyver. What's up? I've never heard of him. Hey, dude, you're on the air. Yeah, I was reading on the Internet last night that she said that when she was growing up that her mom and dad were very supportive of everything that she had to do. So how does that make it that she had a dysfunctional family growing up? Well, we don't know all the details.
Yeah, more quotes that I read go on to say that she didn't feel like she had control of her environment and her self-identity growing up. She felt powerless and she always had a sense of predictability in her life. Yeah, kind of weird. Well, listen, maybe she did feel that way. Maybe those were actually her real feelings. But listen, you hear me say this a million times. Whatever you feel, you can't take that away from somebody. If somebody says, I was scared, you can't go, what do you have to be scared about? The lights are on. They're scared. I can't take that. What I can, though, is, well, what do you do about the fear? What's your action? You may be afraid, and so you're afraid, and so what you do is you jump on Boston Rob's back. He's like, hey, get off me. You know what I mean? Well, but what's weird about it to me is she's describing. Not that big of a jump. Yeah. It's like a skip. It's a skip. You guys are jerks, but it'd be a sturdy landing area. What? The what? Huh? Jerks. I get what you're saying, Mikey, that everyone's entitled to their own feelings, but she talks about her childhood and describes it kind of as a typical childhood. Most children feel powerless because they're children. You know, most people feel a sense of predictability because they have a schedule because they're children. Oh, wait a minute. So now does that mean?
that if she felt powerless, because I felt powerless too. I felt, um, scared. You know, there was a lot of feelings that I had as a kid. She doesn't say scared. No, no, no. I know. I know. Um, but powerless. No, I don't think that, uh, I don't think the kids should feel powerless. You know, I don't think they should. I mean, at times I felt powerless because I was a kid and there were. tons of things I want to do that my parents say, no, that's not appropriate for you to do. You're a child. When you're an adult, then you can make these decisions, but you're a child. And I felt powerless. And I kind of feel that's part of being a kid and part of having parents watch over you. Here's what I'm trying to say. She's obviously mentioning this in a way that it was very bad for her. You know, like it was a negative. She said that her growing up was dysfunctional. Whatever it was, maybe it was different than yours. Your feeling of powerlessness did not create a dysfunction in your opinion. I don't know. Yeah. In your opinion. Right, right, right. But let's say that in your environment growing up, it didn't create in you a sense of dysfunction. Well, we can't hold everybody to that standard. Maybe with somebody else, it made them feel a different way. You know what I mean? Yeah. But what I'm saying is by what she's describing, I mean, obviously she feels there's dysfunction there. But what I'm getting is.
I'm not 100 percent convinced that the dysfunction was on the part of her parents and her upbringing. The dysfunction may have been internal. You know, where there's some kids who's brought up by really good parents, but they just want to rebel and do weird like cuckoo things and they interpret things differently than other kids. Yeah, because they're more sensitive or less. And I think you're right. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. And because I definitely find it extremely interesting that she said she had a dysfunctional childhood, but like she's 33 and she's still living with her parents. If she had such a dysfunctional childhood, like with her parents, wouldn't you think she wouldn't be living with them still now today? Oh, no, check it out. This is what I see, like, loud and clear. She's still dysfunctional. Right, obviously. You know, she's still very dysfunctional. She's describing the dysfunction that she felt growing up, which, hey, listen, whatever way you feel, that belongs to you. Somebody can't tell you, wait a second, about that feeling. That's not, you can't, that's... That's wrong. You can't. They feel that way. What you can say, though, is just because you feel that way, you can't kick the dog just because you feel that way. You know, you can't then have 14 kids that now need diapers and bottles and stuff. You know, that isn't necessarily the right response to the dysfunction. It's always about, OK, what do I do now?
How do I make it better? What do I, listen, you're talking to a number one dysfunctional. I grew up dysfunctional, man. Oh, fearful, scared all the time. Always afraid, afraid of everything. Uh, and never a feeling of safety, never having a feeling of safety and, uh, unwanted, uh, um, you know, but like, uh, uh, very profound, you know? Uh, and so And it took me a long time to even get to a point where I was like, oh, yeah, that's true. That is the way I feel like I didn't even know that I was reacting on that stuff. I buried that stuff. I never was even aware of it. It was like it was in a dresser and I never saw it. Never thought. In fact, I tried to tell myself that it was the opposite. I tried to tell myself that I was super like I had it together. I was, you know, I had this going for me. I had that going for me. I'm this and that. I can drink. And then I was like, oh, man, I think I figured out why I became an alcoholic. I think I figured out why I may have been a little bit messed up. P1 Cecilia. Yeah, hey, she hired a PR firm and the lady from the PR firm was on Larry King the other night. Uh-huh. And it's totally missed. Like every story we're hearing is wrong because the lady on the PR firm said that.
She financially supports her children and doesn't take help from anybody. Well, she's a PR person that was hired by her. When you hire a PR person, what they don't do is go out and go, this woman is very irresponsible. She's the worst ever. I can't believe it. And you can say you're supporting your child if you're bringing in $168,000 in disability. I mean, that's your money. How are you supporting the insurance? And the response was just that she has Kaiser, but not that cow. Who's paying for the Kaiser? Please. Kaiser, 14 kids. I mean, come on. And you know what, Skye? I was seriously, I was thinking in my head, I was going, I'm sure she doesn't like have people. You know, I was thinking in my, I was like, she probably doesn't have people. As soon as she popped those babies out and the media showed up, she got herself some people. So check it out. Cause I was like, Why not Matt Lowell? Like, why would NBC not say, of course.
Of course, Matt Lauer, because we know Matt Lauer is a pit bull. I would guess just because they're trying to give credibility to the other people on the show, because if it's always Matt Lauer, then it's like the Matt Lauer show. See, what I was thinking was that her PR company said, sure, we'll go on. No Matt Lauer. Anybody but Matt Lauer. Our first pick, Al Roker. That would be smart. You know? That would be smart. Oh, dude. I mean, come on. It would be so great if she goes in for the interview. They're like, oh, everybody's sick except Matt. Sorry. P1 Jess. Okay, so I wanted to, I'm not justifying how much money she received from the state, but I was on Yahoo News last night and it got posted at like 830. And the injury she sustained was during the riot, a patient picked up a desk and threw it and it punctured her spinal nerve. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my occipital spinal nerve. She was left in constant pain. Ouch. Wow. Well, that's terrible. I'm not justifying 168, but that is a painful injury. Sure.
Yeah, and that's not like a one lump sum. That's how much money she's got since August of 2001. She's currently still on disability, still collecting disability. Because she can't work. Part of it was that pregnancy also, like while she was pregnant, it took away some of the pain from it. Because she was in constant pain no matter what she did. That seems a little weird. Yeah, you'd think it would be the opposite. Yeah, I mean, you're in constant pain and you have eight... children inside you and that makes them feel better. Under the age of seven, from two to seven years old. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because check it out. You know, like, one thing we're not saying for sure, and I'm sure you're not saying either, Jess, is that, oh, you know, she was in a lot of pain, so, you know, got to give her a break on 14 kids. Yeah, but come on. I mean, I have one. I'm okay with that. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Thank you, Jess. I appreciate the call. Okay, so we all agree. 14 kids, not married, living at home. Probably not a good idea, right? Yeah. Okay. So now should anything happen? I would think that CPS should step in and at least investigate what's going on. Investigate. And the care of these children and see this woman and what she's able to do. I would hope that that would be the case. Yeah. Yeah. Because I'll tell you what, man.
This ain't 1956 anymore when people had a bunch of kids and economy was good and it was cheap to live and blah, blah, blah. It is not cheap to live and stuff costs a lot of money. And it's not like her parents are jumping for joy that, you know, the bundle of eight just arrived. Yeah, for sure. P1 Instigator is on the line. You said you had a dysfunctional childhood. I don't see how that's possible. Your mom would find you Ocean Pacific shorts and semen. How dare you? How dare you? I see what you're doing. It was actually... It was a long time ago. They were homemade. They were homemade shorts. They were fine. They wouldn't get any OP shorts is what the deal was. It was close. She accidentally sewed two O's. Oh, Esther. And then the P. So it was like OOP. And then... She was like, I messed up. So then she just thought, oh, I'll sew an S on it and it'll say, oops. Could have been worse. There could have been a pee in the front. That's true. That's right. They can walk around with poops. Catch yourself lucky. I am a lucky man. That's what I had. That's right. Michael Phelps is talking. He is talking. But he is also having some things happen that are not great.
Yeah, well, you know, it came out over the weekend that there was a picture of Michael Phelps smoking out of a bong. Tobacco. We don't know what he was smoking out of said bong, but he was smoking out of a bong. I love weed. And so immediately some of his sponsors came out supporting him, like Speedo. Is there any sponsors? No. Yeah, we're not allowed to say that, even if it was. people he does endorsements for, like Speedo and Omega Watches, they all came out supportive of him. Well, here comes the bad stuff. It was announced yesterday that Kellogg's has dropped Michael Phelps as a spokesperson for their Frosted Flakes. Wow, that's a big one. Yeah. Stick with Tony the Tiger. He is better. They say his recent behavior is not consistent with the image of Kellogg's, but it's not really that surprising because he only his contract was set to expire at the end of this month.
And his kind of, you know, height of Olympics is kind of over. The buzz of that is kind of over. So I don't know if they would have renewed his contract anyway. But they have said, you know, we're out. And then he has also now been banned for three months from competition from USA Swimming. They say this is not a situation where any anti-doping rule was violated. But we decided to send a strong message to Michael because he disappointed so many people, particularly the hundreds of thousands of U.S. swimming members. kids who looked up to him as a role model and a hero. So Michael has voluntarily accepted this reprimand and said he's sorry and he'll comply with the three-month ban. Well, that's good that he is going to comply with it. You know what I mean? Yeah, he's not fighting it. Was he going to be in any swimming competitions in the next three months anyway? Again, it kind of doesn't really matter. There wasn't much going on except for practice for the next three months anyway. He's crashing swimming pools everywhere. I'm going to race you. I'm going to race you. It's medical marijuana from the Bay Area. I don't know what it is. That's fine. I don't know what it is. I actually don't know what it is.
This is a question you'll probably only get asked in Baltimore because you have a lot of fans here, but a lot of people really think of you as their own kid or their own brother, their own family member. And a lot of people want us to ask you, Michael Phelps, what were you thinking? Obviously not much. And, you know, it's, I mean, like I said, a bad judgment. And, you know, I can learn from it. He talks too cool for me. What? You know, like, you know, you can get this on right here. And it's just, there's something about it that I'm just like, hey, dude, you're cooler than me. And I was thinking I want some cool ranch Doritos right now. That's what I was thinking. Yeah. How to make my life better than it has been in the past. Like I said, I've made mistakes. And, you know, I have to learn with every, I have to live with every mistake that I've learned. I don't get to talk like that. I just have to talk normal. Real goofy to me. That does? Yeah, like, extremely goofy. Like, ready to trip on his words at any minute and, like, kind of like, whoa. Wow. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, dude. We have very different reactions to that voice. Real goofy. They also ask him about being a role model. They ask him about his swimming plans. They ask him about all of that stuff. And so, a little bit later on, we'll probably get all that on. He used to swimming with bow-legged women. Guys.
Very first ones. It's one of his very first comments that he made after this thing happened. Patrick Swayze likes us. Patrick Swayze likes us. Is that what it's saying? That is. I was trying to figure out the lyrics. Now I know it is. Patrick Swayze likes us. Patrick Swayze likes us. Patrick Swayze likes us. Patrick Swayze likes us. There is a very big actor talking about running for governor in 2010. Of what state, Sky? New Mexico. New Mexico. Oh, boy. So when we come back, I'm going to tell you who this big actor is. And it's a huge show today. We're going to be doing Ask the Oracle today, so you can call in and ask questions of Eddie that have to do with sports. And we will do that next hour. Also, this is really, really cool, man. I don't know if you guys remember me talking about a TV show called...
48 Hours Mystery. Yeah. Dude, it is so good. This show is so, so good. And they're going to be profiling a crazy story from San Diego. Oh, my gosh. And is it this weekend that it's going to air? Tomorrow. Okay, so we're going to talk to somebody that is a... He's the correspondent. Correspondent. And, man, I love that show. I just love that show. So we're going to be doing that. And totally packed and full show today. And don't forget, go to MikeyShow.com, watch the first ever episode. of Mikey Show Theater 3000. And it's hysterical, man. You're really going to like it. Dane Cook in the stand-up spotlight. To protect yourself, I wish I knew karate, because especially at night, like ATM machines, it's scary. You walk up, like Mission Impossible, you walk up to the... You lean against it, you know, you pretend you're hitting more buttons than actually you need to. In case somebody has, like, a telescopic lens, you're like, I have a 14-digit code. I like when you get those loud machines. It lets everybody know how much money you're getting. You put in the amount. It's like, you can't be in a good mood. You can't be all happy. Walk up to the machine in front of a crowd of people and be like, entering my pen. English. Withdraw. $100. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. Remember me? Now.
Amco, by the way. My microphone just broke. That's not good. Yeah, Amco is the best. I'm going to take this thing to Amco. See if they can fix it. I bet you they can. I mean, they have experienced diagnosticians. Maybe they can diagnose. my microphone stand. But they really are great. Amco's great. They do some really amazing things for your car. And what I mean by that is they have machines that they actually plug into your car. They get information from the machines. And then from the information, they take it a step further sometimes, fix this, fix that. But it's stuff that you can't do on your own. You can't take it to your buddy down the street, have him look at it. And the reason is because of the way that these things are made now.
The way that these cars are made, they have a lot of technology built into them. And the reason that they do a lot of times is because they want you to take it back to the dealership in order to get these things fixed. But that's where Amco comes in. Because Amco doesn't want to fix what isn't broken. So, avert all that stuff. Don't go through that. Just go to Amco. Amco's double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Why would you take it anywhere else? We've got some rough spots because of the wet conditions out here, so give yourself plenty of extra time. You will need it. Lots of brake lights and lots of accidents as well. There's a new one on the eastbound, 8th ramp to northbound. 163 causing a major backup here. A traffic alert has initiated advising you to avoid that, so watch for heavy brake lights now in Mission Valley. On the westbound side of the Yates, you're going to find some traffic as well, but just an unusual place now from Waring out towards that 15 freeway. West on the 94 King Freeway, there was an accident near the 805, another one on the ramp to south 15, so essentially you're on the brakes now from Euclid past both those freeways all the way into downtown.
Coming up out of the South Bay, plenty of stuff as well on the 805 northbound struggling up through Chula Vista in the National City. Another bad accident, South 805 at Martha Street involved with a big rig as you're backing up traffic there or has traffic backed up there. And traffic that's been issued for that area as well. So once again, again, give yourself some extra time and just be careful. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. He isn't a big fan of violence. Boston Rob. I watch a lot of Food Network lately, and it's mostly because of you. And Ashley. I love my bangs, and they grow out so freaking fast. Save that clip. I know. Save that clip. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Rob, did you love the music? You know it does. What is this? This is cranberries. I recognize it, but I could have never known who it was. I wanted to do that Lingus song, but the intro took forever to get into it. I'm like, what are you guys doing? Just to get into the meat of the cranberries. You wanted to hear just the chorus. If you have to.
Sing it, Mike. Can we play that later? It shocks me some of the songs that Boston Rob likes. So weird. You guys remember that? Well, he's full on tattooed. He's got a goatee. He's got Boston tattooed on his neck. Loves Michelle Branch. Oh, yeah. What happened to her? Loves Mariah Carey. It's awesome. Oh, she's the best. Better than Michelle. Get out of the way, Michelle. Okay. 570-1053. Before we went to break, I said somebody is going to be running. They're considering. running for governor in 2010 for the state of New Mexico. Sky, who is it? Please be Patrick Swayze. Please be Patrick Swayze. Why are you obsessed with Patrick Swayze? He's on The Beast on A&E. That's right. I don't know what that is. And it's true. Some show that I've never watched. All right. No, actually, it's not Patrick Swayze. It is Val Kilmer. Oh, no. Am I wrong in saying this? Is he a little off his rocker? Daffy? He's the worst Batman. He's the best Jim Morrison. Yes, I'll give him that. He was an awesome Captain Ron. He wasn't Captain Ron? Wasn't he Captain Ron? That was Kurt Russell, you clown. You're the best.
So I guess he's been calling New Mexico home for more than 20 years now. And the lieutenant governor of New Mexico actually has her sights set on the job for 2010. But Val Kilmer was quoted as saying, if he will run, he's going to be the next governor. Oh, he has my vote. He's calling his shots. He's probably right. He's got my vote. Well, we all know celebrities win elections because people want them to be in office and say that's their governor. It's a popularity contest. It is. It is. Plus he's so good looking. We know that. Not that he's good looking. Oh, I do. We all know that, Mike. He's the man. I'm happy for him. He's Iceman, you guys. Yeah. He's bad news. He's Iceman from Top Gun. Right? Yep. If Goose runs, I will vote for him. Oh, heck yeah. You don't know about Goose. If Goose runs too soon. If Goose runs too soon. You're right. Let's see. Hey, if you are living in San Marcos and you have any information about this thing that happened, please call the San Marcos police. There was a hit-and-run driver that killed an 18-month-old baby boy. And what are the details, Sky?
Well, this was Wednesday night, just a little bit before 6 o'clock in the evening on Similax Road. I guess this is an unincorporated part of San Marcos. What does that mean? It means that, like... It doesn't fall under the city's jurisdiction. So as far as maintaining the roads, if you go to an unincorporated part, they're not going to have sidewalks and they're not going to have gutters and stuff. There's different rules if you live in an unincorporated part. It's not maintained the same way by the city. I think if you want to repave your roads, all the neighbors have to put together the money to repave the roads, I think. I don't know. I may be a little bit off on that, but that's my understanding. So, yeah, it's an unincorporated part of San Marcos. And I guess the dad had just got home from work and left the gate from the yard open. And I guess nobody was watching the 18-month-old. And he, you know, got out of the yard and into the street. And they said that the driver who hit him wouldn't have been charged with anything if he would have stopped, if he or she would have stopped, because it wasn't their fault. I mean, this little boy ran out into the road. But since they took off and the boy died.
It's now a fatal hit-and-run accident, so there's not a very good description, but witnesses do say they saw a large dark blue or black SUV with tinted windows and a black bumper with chrome trim. Pulled to the side of the road just after the accident. So, obviously, anyone with any information, please contact the San Marcos Sheriff's Department. What about the guy in Australia that was caught with two live pigeons in his pants? Oh, good day, mate. What about that guy? That was actually right. Is it Huge Jackman? Was it Huge Jackman? He's Australian. Yeah. No, this is weird. So, this guy was flying into Australia from Dubai in the Middle East. And he was going through customs or whatever. And they found him to have plant seeds in his money belt to burn a... Wait, wait, wait. Tell me what that is. A money belt? No, plant seeds. Seeds for plants. Like for marijuana?
It doesn't specifically say. It could be anything. I thought that maybe that was like a pot term. Like if you have seeds for pot, it's called plant seeds. Oh, no. It's just seeds for any plants. They don't specify what. But those seeds were in his money belt. There were two bird eggs. Money belt? What's a money belt? Well, Mike, it's a belt made of money. Yes. I'm waiting for that now. Take a look. Solid gold. Hello. Wish you had one. I don't know. I'm thinking a money belt is the thing when you travel that you wear to hide the money. I know my mom has one. She does? Well, yeah, you wear it under your shirt and you put your, like, traveler's checks and your money in it. Isn't that a fanny pack? No, a fanny pack is a fanny pack. This is something that you actually wear, like, it goes across your chest, under your shirt. Rob, you're reading too much into it. It goes across your chest and under your shirt? Uh-huh, so you actually have to, like, reach under your shirt. And do you put, like, bundles of cash in it? Well, you put anything that you don't have stolen in there, you know, because traveler's checks, if they're stolen, you know.
I have money suspenders. I have money belts. You guys get distracted so easily. So easily. You're telling me that your mom wears a belt that straps across her like a bandolier that you put ammunition in. Yes, except this is money. Except money goes in it and it goes under her clothes. This is what you're saying. Well, yeah, it doesn't really remind me so much of a belt. It's more like a string type thing that goes across the chest and in the middle of it is like a zipper package thing. And you carry money in it. Yeah, you carry your valuables in it when you're like in foreign countries where you think you could maybe. And you put it under your clothes. Yes. Okay, this is the first time hearing that these exist and definitely the first time hearing that your mom wears one.
Well, she doesn't wear one every day. No, no, no. But when she goes traveling... Yeah, like if she's going to Mexico, she's going to wear one. I've never heard of it, Mike. You have not? I've not. Yeah. Well, okay. Well, Skinner is like one step ahead of the game. It's like, you know what I mean? She's like... So, Skye, do you have a money belt for when you travel? I think she bought one. Dude, I'm going to send you a picture. I think. I think she bought me one. I'm not sure. I'm wearing it right now. Hey guys, I love money. There's a bunch of different pictures and some of them look like a male fanny pack, I guess. I burn hundreds to stay warm. Show off. Man, I wish I could do that. Let me see, Rob. There's no room in my brassiere. Yes, yes. Money, money, money. I used to have one of these belts. One of the belts they're showing, it's like you have a belt on, right? Yeah. And it's the right way. Take the belt off and you flip it so it's the interior of the belt. Yes. Following me? Yep. On the interior. I'm with you, Rob. On the interior of the belt, there's a little zipper that you can't see. When you open the zipper, there's like room within the belt to stash money. You've lost me now because I don't know what rum is doing in your belt. That's weird. Drink your belt.
Show me the money. Wow. Well, that sounds definitely like a way to protect that money. You know what I mean? So anyways, this dude had plant seeds in his money belt. He had two bird eggs in a vitamin container that was in his pocket. What the? He had something they're referring to as eggplant samples in his bag. And then he also had two live pigeons stuffed in his pants. Really? Yes. He made the trip from Dubai to Australia with all of this stuff and then was found when he landed in Australia. Nobody noticed that. The pigeons weren't freaking out. I guess not. How do you do that? I think you can keep them really calm. No, Rob. I just know that from watching magicians. Stop lying. P1 Robert. Oh, no. P1 Brandon. Hey, guys. What's going on? What's up? I'm a gay robin.
Sky are basically right. It's a real miniature fanny pack. I wore one when I went to Europe, and you can either put it around your waist or across your shoulder. Rob is now laughing and pointing at Sky. I wasn't doing it out loud, and she didn't know. Then forget it. Rob. Anyway. Fanny pack it up. The one my mom has is not a fanny pack. It's way cooler. Yes. It is. It's very cool. Don't judge her. Yeah, thank you. It's a coach money belt. All right? Yeah. It's hot. It's a Gucci money belt. It's really gorgeous. All right. P1 Mike. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good, man. Yeah, I was calling about the, you guys were talking about that accident there with an 18-month-old kid. Yeah. Yeah, it's, I know that area real well. I actually, I met you a couple years ago on a, on a, A law enforcement checkpoint out there, and that's needed. Right on. I seen you when you came through there. You'd stop and talk. I was wondering about it. Anyways, I drive a tow truck in that area, and that street is a real heavily populated area. There's always a lot of kids. I tell all my guys that work for me that they've got to be careful. There are a lot of kids. It's like a mainly Latino neighborhood. There's a lot of kids. It's really heavily dead. They're spreading out.
in front of cars all the time. Oh, man. That's what they were saying on the news last night, because there's no sidewalks, but it's kind of a thoroughfare going to and from a school in the area. So kids are always walking, and they say people go really, really fast on the road, and, you know, sometimes kids just are down the road. Yeah, we end up with a lot of accidents over in the area that we deal with. I guess I didn't know. Just people just go flying through there like nothing. You got to be careful, man. Slow down, man. Slow down. Thank you for the call, bro. I guess I didn't know. What are you doing? He's breaking it off. Leave him alone. Breaking it off. He just took out his glow sticks. Yeah. I think that's a pacifier. I'm not sure. You know it is. He's raging. Yeah. That's a sweet cape he's wearing. That is. He's got his money belt on. I guess I didn't know. Ooh. Oh, whoa. And a candy necklace. Dang, Eddie. You got moved. Yeah, you got robbed. Not with this money belt. That's right. The former Bush chief of staff is calling Obama disrespectful. Oh, wow. Why is the former chief of staff for President Bush calling Obama disrespectful? And also, who's the early leader of the Buick Invitational? And how'd the big names do? Find out all of that next.

And as. I support butt everywhere I go. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105. Welcome back to the show. TGIF. I remember when I was growing up and everything, listening to the radio, it was always real cool to me when the DJs would do their little tributes to Friday. Oh, yeah. You know what I'm talking about. Absolutely. With working for the weekend. Yes. Right? That was the jam, bro. Especially at 5 o'clock. They played the whistle. Right. Woo! It's time to go home! Seriously. And I was always like, man, I want to be on that kind of station where I get to play that stuff. You always wondered, like, how did they put that together? Yeah. So creative. Movie clips. Like, how did they get those? Like, this guy on the radio, he must be a maniac. And you hear him, like, screaming in the background. And what we didn't know was that...
He would immediately turn the microphone off and get back on the phone and go, babe, I'm so sorry you're mad at me. I'm so sorry you're mad. Like, really? Hang on just a second. Hang on just a second. At KWSS 94.5, what is happening in your world? We had no idea, right? Well, it was the 80s, so you probably get a little of this. Oh. Yes. Yes, you probably did. It's so true, dude. It's so true. Oh, wow. That's great. Okay, before we went to break. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. I told you that a former Bush chief of staff is calling Obama disrespectful. Oh, man. Yeah. And this is... I mean, I agree, but... Ruby must be so mad. This is so stupid, Ruby. Oh, there's a reason?
I just thought it was like a thing. In general? In general. A thing. You're the worst. Why? Why? Well, it's in regards to the way that President Obama dresses while he's in the Oval Office. What? How does he dress? PJs. No, tracksuits. His new edition concert t-shirt from 83. That is inappropriate, Scott. I think it's weird. That's kind of strange. It's not necessary. He wears slacks, a button-up, and a tie. but he sometimes will go without a jacket. Oh, get him out of there. I love it. During the Bush administration, there was a rule that no one was allowed in the Oval Office unless they were in a full, you know, tie and jacket, the full suit. And so, you know, former Bush chief of staff, Andrew Card says that when you have a dress code in the Supreme Court, a dress code on the floor of the Senate, the floor of the House, I think it's appropriate to have an expectation that there will be a dress code that respects the office of the president. Amen. I have a I have a very strong opinion about this. I do. I have a very strong opinion about this. Let me tell you, I think.
That when there are people going into the Oval Office to meet with President Obama, he should put on a tie, put on a coat, blah, blah, blah. But when he's in there and he's just doing work, I don't care if he wears it. But I do still think there should be a dress code. I don't think that he should. Or do I? Or do I? How do we feel about Obama doing work in there in a T-shirt? Inappropriate. I don't know. I'm not super... In all honesty, I'm fine if he takes off his jacket to sit down and do work, but he should be dressed appropriately for work. I think it's almost like a... It's the highest office in the land. It is. It's almost like a dress code. A lot of people have to wear certain things. I think he should have to wear a certain thing. What if he's going to catch up on some work on a Saturday? I was actually thinking in my head, if he's in there on a Saturday, I don't know that I really... Do it in the bedroom. I don't know that I'm going to kill you. Get a laptop. Really? Yeah, don't be doing that stuff in the Oval Office. You know, there's something about the Oval Office that makes you think. Well, I mean, is a Starbucks barista going to go into work on Saturday with no apron? I mean. Yeah, hello. Will you calm down? I mean, come on, for real. Someone take his Starbucks away. It's gone today, dude. Yeah, he's cracked out. He's a really young one. What are you guys talking about? I'm talking about you.
The fact that you never drink caffeine and you are today, and it's awesome. I drink caffeine every day. No, you don't. I don't drink coffee every day, but I have caffeine every day. Why are you arguing? You know what we're saying. Sorry, I'm drunk. You are not. Let's see, 570-1053. Yeah, I'm not mad at it. I'm not either. You should be impeached. I think it's kind of cool that he sits in there with, you know, that he looks. Oh, really? With his members only jacket, Mike? Really? That's cool. Like, that's cool. Get up. Come on. That is wrong. Dude, apparently Obama was getting all fired up the other day. He was giving a speech or something and he was getting all fired up. The fact is, in the House, there were 11 Democrats who voted no. In the Senate, it is a bipartisan group of Democrats and Republicans together who are saying this bill is too expensive. What we got last night wasn't, let's reason together, let's sit down and negotiate. You know, when we did the balanced budget... That's Newt Gingrich talking about last night. Obama was, I guess...
Speaking. Screaming. Yeah, he was really getting after it. He's a hothead. Really? We've got to get this stimulus plan passed. We can't just sit around and put all our thumbs. It's like having Boston Rob in office. Oh, please. How dare you? All right. He's a hothead. Worst comparison ever. Worst comparison ever. Worst comparison ever. You know what I mean? Oh, man. It's very clear just by watching that tape. Okay. Thank you, Eddie. Now, now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Come on. Rain, rain, go away. The Buick Open or the Buick Invitational is going on right now at Torrey Pines. And I don't know if they're going to be able to play today. The rain is pouring. Is it? So yesterday they were able to get the full round in. Camillo Viejas is the early leader after the first round yesterday. He shot a 63 on the north course and is the leader by three. Camillo talks about his round yesterday. Yeah, I feel good now. I feel it's strong. That's not it. That's Tiger Woods. Well, it's kind of nice to actually build. I know. That sounds like Camillo to me. That is not it. Why is it doing? What is that?
I'm related to Camille. You are? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like cousins or? I'm sure that if you look down my bloodlines at some point. That is probably true. They cross, you know? Yeah, no doubt about it. His name is Camille. Yeah. What? Viegas. Of course. Viegas? We're related somehow. Viegas. Viegas. I think I got it. I got the clip now. Okay. Yeah, I feel good now. No, that's still Tiger Woods. No, no. I played the same clip. They're in green? They're in green? Yeah. Oh, no. I'm playing the old clip one. I'm playing the old clip one. I got it. I got it. Pretty fun out there, obviously. There we go. There we go. Two chip-ins. That helps. One on number two for eagle, and then a nice one there on 17 to finishing the round. But even if you take the chip-ins out, I played pretty good. I mean, I drove it nicely. This is appropriate. I hit some great shots and gave myself some good opportunities.
It's one of those male dancers. I can't argue with that. That is correct. She's actually right. That is what it is. They came dancing out onto the golf course. You get an eagle. Bill Mickelson, local favorite, shot a 70, so he is a little bit behind, but he should be able to make that up. Kansas City Chiefs have offered the Cardinals offensive coordinator, Todd Haley, their head coaching job. And it looks like Haley is going to accept. Mike? Yeah. What's the matter? You seem distressed by this game. You know what? You know, when it's... Oh, wow. Rob, help him out. Let me tell you. Let me tell you. The reason that I'm fearful of saying these things is because I know that when I say them, there's going to be an immediate comeback, which is right and makes sense. So I'm like, well, why even say a thing? Because I know what I'm going to hear about. Are you upset that he's leaving the Cardinals? Or do you not think he's worthy of a head coaching job? Like, where are you coming from? No, where I'm coming from here is I hate it when you have success.
And they pick your bones dry. I understand that. You know. Well, your Cardinals are a mess right now. Don't say that. Because not only did they just lose their offensive coordinator. He's kind of the architect of that offense. Yeah. Anquan Boldin yesterday says his chances of coming back with Arizona are, quote, very slim. Unquote. Why? He does not want to play in Arizona anymore. Why not? Because he wants to be a number one. No, he's upset with his contract. He feels he's underpaid. You know, he's mad at it. And if Anquan doesn't come back, rumors are that Kurt Warner will not return. Whatever. So if they lose Kurt Warner, Anquan Bolden, and the offensive coordinator. I mean, listen. They still got 50. They're fine. Listen, at some point, they're going to lose Kurt Warner. But they want him back at least one more year. You think he has another great season left in him? Yeah, I do. I think, you know, he hasn't taken a ton of hits. He started his career real late, you know, after playing in the Arena League and bagging groceries and all that stuff. So I think he's going to be okay. You know, but they do have Matt Leinert there waiting in the wings. There weren't too many signs this year that he couldn't. Why is Whoopi laughing so good? You out on Matt Leinert? Oh, wow.
Yeah, what's up with Matt Leinart? You know, I personally have not given up on Matt Leinart yet. By the way, Whoopi's wearing a Steeler scarf if no one noticed. That's right. Crazy. I think Matt Leinart still has the talent. I think it was actually really good for him to sit and watch Kurt Warner play and learn how to be a professional. What do you think his deal was? Why couldn't he win that job? I don't think he took it seriously. I think he was out partying. I think he liked being a celebrity more than he liked being a football player. That is probably a very good assessment, man. My brother said that he's always... and the papers out there and the social magazines and all that stuff. And then I have these crazy Padres stories, but I'm going to save that for coming up for the next Sports Dirt. But I will give you a Patriots story. The New England Patriots placed the franchise tag on Matt Castle, which means the Patriots can match any offer made by any other team, or if they does sign with another team, they will get two first-round draft picks. Wow. Yes. What do you think of that, Rob? Awesome. Awesome. Why? I mean, they're going to have so much money tied into two guys. Yeah. They're quarterbacks, which is a big mistake. Are they really thinking that Tom Brady is going to get... Dude, I heard reports that Tom Brady is going to be ready. Really? Yeah. So you're going to pay your backup quarterback $14 million.
In case he's not, Matt Castle had a great year. That's insane. They don't hassle Matt Castle. I've heard that. Here's the only thing that I would agree with. If they sign Matt Castle as a deal, they see if Tom Brady's cool. If Tom Brady's cool, then trade Matt Castle. That's what I would do. What happens if, you know, because that injury that he's recovering from is one of the worst. True. So what happens, you know, you get two games into the season and something goes wrong. You can't tie up that much money with a salary cap into two guys. You can't do it. You can't do it. Hey, you know, there was one season. I mean, I hope he really is that good. You know, he played one season under Brady and he did pretty good. I mean, I just hope this isn't all too good to be true. They played one season under, you know, when they had to call him in. Yeah, Matt Castle. He came in one season when the big guy went down. He developed into an awesome quarterback. Oh, take it easy with that. He did. Come on. Compared to most of the guys that have. Well, compared to anyone that hasn't started since high school. Yeah, yeah. No?
I understand. I'm just saying that the guy, you know, he sounds like a cool guy. I'm just saying that he's just... He's respectful to the media. He's respectful to the public. And he's a good kid. That's true. But, you know, I'm loyal to my starters. I'm loyal to Tom Brady. And, you know, I'm not like some Fairweather fan. He's just like, you know, whatever the flavor of the month comes in, I'm going to throw you my entire love and support. It didn't. And that was ridiculous. It's absurd, sir. I'm not going to address it. You're in here wearing a Yankees hat. I don't know what you're talking about. Why is Rob wearing a Yankees hat? Every time I wear this hat, you guys get confused. It's really weird. You guys are getting really old. You've got some bad eyesight. Hey, Rob, you decided to bring the mood down a little bit with this one. Not down, but bring the lights down a little bit. A little more passionate. Make it a little bit soft. Make the mood a little bit soft. I like it.
Are you guys thinking about Rob's nipple rings? Yeah. Dude, you too? Me too. Yeah, if you want to see pictures of Rob in a Speedo and us seeing how well the ShamWow works, go to MikeyShow.com. Be prepared. Ridiculous. And also, don't forget, we put up our first ever Mikey Show Theater 3000. It's really ridiculous. So, some pretty crazy stuff happened yesterday on TV. Have you guys heard this whole thing with Sarah Palin, she wants wolves dead? You know this story? Do you guys understand this? I do, yeah. Okay. Let me, just real quickly, let me explain. They shoot wolves aerially. They hunt wolves in Alaska, aerially. Have you ever seen the movie The Thing? Yeah. Ashley just saw The Thing. No, I got it in Netflix. I'm watching it this weekend. Okay. Well, in the movie The Thing. Don't worry. Natflax.
In the movie The Thing, they're in Antarctica and there's a wolf running on the ice and they're flying over in a biplane shooting at the wolf with a rifle. Well, in Alaska, they do this. They hunt wolves. Okay, well, Ashley Judd is really upset and has recorded a commercial. For an organization that says, you know, meat is murder. Meat is murder. Coleslaw is murder. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your wolf? And so this has become a big back and forth war of words. Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Love her. In an effort to make the conservative right look not loco. Went on yesterday and. Brought something into it that, oh boy, wow, you are really on one. And that's next.

Visit LaCosta.com for details. There's hope for all you romantics yet. The ride's been very tough this morning because of the wet conditions, so give yourself plenty of extra time. You will need it right now. You've got a struggle on the 805 northbound out of Chula Vista. Stacked up well before 8th Street, and that slowdown stays with you over Mission Valley to Murray Ridge. Heavy again out of Kearney Mason now, heading up up to 52. Plenty of stuff pretty much in all our freeways. They're all backed up. The West 94 is very heavy from Lemon Grove Avenue solid to the 805, then again from the 15 into downtown. You've got your West 8 ride as well, struggling here from right around... I made that Jackson Drive. in La Mesa. That's a solid slow crawl all the way to the 805 here in Mission Valley. More brake lights in the hotel circle. South 15 suffering from the 78 to the Via Rancho Parkway. And now it's slowing again over Lake Hodges. Heavy traffic one more time out of Carmel Mountain Ranch down in towards Miramar. And now you've got a new accident. South 15 before Friars Road causing a backup around that through Murphy Canyon. The coaster ride South 5 is quite heavy as well out of Acadia into Solana Beach. But again, just give yourself some extra time and be careful. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.
Eddie. I don't like sports that are judged. I'm not a big fan of combining foods. Like, you know, like. Binding? Yeah. Boston Rob. You know me, I love a good tattoo. And Ashley. I don't like to waste. What is this, Rob? Uh, big timers. Domino's Pizza brought food today. Dude. Yeah, Domino's don't mind. They hooked it up, man. They really did. They are making sandwiches now and they're not kidding around. They are no joke. They're for real. Yeah, really good. Oven baked sandwiches. Well, anything baked in an oven on a sandwich is good. Yeah. It's crazy good. And they have all these different kinds. And they got chicken parm. They got chicken. CBR, homie. What is that one? Chicken bacon ranch. It's my favorite. I'm going to try it for the first time. I'm so excited. It's my favorite. You got to talk about the new special pizzas, Mike. Yeah, they got these new pizzas. They got the Philly cheesesteak pizza. Oh, really? Yeah, they brought one of each. They're called American Legends. That's right. It's like the all-American legend. Oh.
I know what you're doing. No, no, I'm saying. You know what I'm saying? It's not right. The Philly cheesesteak. Uh-huh. The Pacific veggie. I got that one. It's delicious. Calm down. I added sausage, which was fun. Wait, I thought you were a veggie. Well, yeah, I mean, if it's a veggie, why would you? Sausages. Okay. Sausages. Oh, no. Sausages. She really loves sausages. They have the Honolulu Hawaiian. Oh, yeah. Honolulu. Cali chicken bacon ranch. Oh. And the Memphis barbecue chicken. Got that one. The buffalo chicken one, I got that one too. It was bomb. The spicy buffalo one. Let me tell you something, this girl. Domino's at least once a week. Absolutely. And in fact, the last time I ordered it, is that what you were going to say, Mike? I was going to say it might be a little more now. The last time I ordered Domino's, which was for the Super Bowl, and I told this to Joe, who just brought us all the food, I said, I ordered that spicy American legend buffalo chicken pizza. Small. A small one, and I ordered sin sticks, and I finished all of it. You are crazy. I've never done that before. Because it's delicious. I've never done that before. I ate it all. Oh, my God. Make it too, sin sticks. It was awesome. It was awesome. The girl likes to eat. I like that. It's delicious. You know what I mean? She really does enjoy her food. Wow. Oh, Sarah. Oh, Sarah.
Now, she is Elizabeth Hasselbeck. She's a little off a rocker. I used to, obviously, because she's conservative. And I was like, oh, cool. They're going to have this conservative voice. But sometimes it might just be better to maybe not go there. Just leave it alone. And this whole thing with the wolves, if you haven't heard. In the state of Alaska, they fly in airplanes. They shoot wolves. They hunt them because they're eating the moose and they're eating something else. But don't they just also hunt them for game? I think they're hunting them for, I don't know. Maybe they do. Maybe that's what they're all for. I mean, I go that far. Maybe it's all because they want to put them on plaques or something and they want to have a wolf head on there. Have you ever had wolf jerky, Mike? I have not. So good. Delicious. Very peppery. Stop. Either way, Sky, I don't know that I like the shooting of wolves. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. You know? I don't know. Now, they say they're doing it because it's having an effect on the... Yeah. Well, first of all, they're not hunting these wolves for their meat. And the hunters are also not going out there and buying licenses because they want to keep the population of moose alive. That's not why they're doing it. They're doing it because they're big game hunters and they want to have a wolf pelt. I'm guessing.
You don't eat wolf. And so, anyway, Ashley Judd feels real strongly about it. Oh, good. So she's, you know, really speaking out about the wolf stuff. It's her cause, you know? Hey, whatever, man. Smells like horse. Yeah, she wants to be a wolf lady, and she wants to talk about the effect that it's having, and all right. Smells like horse. We are lichens. That's right. No, those are wolves. They're not lichens. Those are wolves, I think. Now, she goes on the air, and she starts talking about it. Ashley Judd? Or Hasselbeck? Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck goes on and starts talking about it. You know, at first when I heard about it, I thought, well, you know... That is not Elizabeth Hasselbeck. That's Sherry Shepard. That's Sherry Shepard. That's a little horrifying for me to watch that. I love animals. What does Sarah Palin have to do with it? Well, I think it is horrifying to see anything killed. And I think that the difference here is that to control the caribou population in Alaska, this was something that the wolves were overpopulated and they were hindering the population of the caribou, which are thereby protected by Alaska. But the problem that I have here is like a lot of these... Now, when this story first came out, that's what I wanted to know. Why were they doing it?
Because Alaska's part of the United States, and in the United States, they have some pretty strict laws about what you can kill and what you can't and why. And it usually has to do with maintaining a good balance. And they don't want there to be too much of something and not enough of something else. And so that's usually the reason they do this. It ain't because they just like to go out there and shoot stuff. Vocal. Celebrities. in a way, get very loud about these animal killings. Like, is she as loud as, she said, how many wolves have been killed? 900 this year. She is loud as the 200, about the 260,000 kids that are killed in abortions. Like, I don't understand. You know what? That's a very, very huge job. Vastly different. Who has also been standing up for human rights. That's not a hot button, right? Holy moly. Did she just say? Oh, wow. That's not a hot button. What? What about wolf abortions? Yeah. Does anybody think about that? Stand up for that. Children's rights to attack her for this.
Oh, no. Don't tell me what I can think and what I can't think. It would be nice if we could just stay in the area. Socialist table here? I can make a jump if I make that assertion. It would be easier to have the conversation if we could just stick to the wolves. Oh, boy. Yeah. Holy cow. Took quite a turn, didn't it? I think they all probably really enjoy hanging out. Yeah. You think so? Yeah. Good friends. That was not fun to listen to. Slumber parties. P1 Alaska? Alaska, are you there? P1 Papa Driz. Hey, Mikey. What's up? I'm a hunter here in California, and we have the same problem with mountain lions that Alaska's having with wolves. The deal is that... The population of the predators gets so high that they start actually killing the game that we're allowed to hunt. You don't get meat from wolves and you don't get meat from mountain lions. We should. But you're not allowed to hunt them because... Rob believes we should eat wolf. Yeah. Why? But a full-grown mountain lion will eat one deer a week. And if it's nursing and has cubs, it can eat up to three deer. And they're also getting so bad that they're attacking...
Bikers and joggers and lots of stuff. I mean, it's getting crazy, but you're not allowed to hunt them because they're considered a sport kill. Sky, where do you stand? Well, heaven forbid the mountain lion trying to survive gets in the way of your sport. I'm really sorry that it ruins your good time because it's nursing cubs and it's trying to survive. I apologize. I thought... Hunting a mountain lion was considered a sport kill. Is that dude gone? Yeah, yeah. I thought that's what he said. That's why you can't do it. Sky, question. What if the mountain lions are attacking humans? Yeah, that's a different story. But the first thing he was talking about was how, you know, it's not leaving any game for them to hunt because they're eating all the deer to survive. Yeah, that's what I heard. I'm like, please. Awful. Whatever. Sorry about your fun times, buddy. What about this? What about when the population of a predator becomes so high that they don't have enough food to subsist?
No, I'm not talking about the wolves. I'm just talking about because I know that this happens in Arizona where they get the population of a particular animal gets so high that they don't have enough food for themselves and they're starving to death. Yeah, that sucks. But, you know, we also have to look at part of the reason they're encroaching in our area. And part of the reason is because there's not enough land because we're building houses everywhere and we're taking their land away. So, I mean. You know, part of it's our fault. Should we, you know, start shooting people because we have too many people and we're building too many houses? I choose to do that. You do not choose to do that. I have a few people I'd like to start with. No, you do not. Actually, sorry, Rob. I kind of agree. Rob's my boy, yeah. She-Wolf is on the line. You there, She-Wolf? Yeah, my spotter. Pull. So, this morning on the Today Show... The octuplets mom who does not look anything like I thought she would. No way. I agree. Really? What does she look like? No. Latina. A Latina poor man's version of Angelina Jolie. I was going to say that. Thank you. It looks like she's had some work done. Yeah, it looks like some collagen. She's only 30. Clear source of income and enough help to raise them. I know I'll be able to afford them when I'm done with my schooling.
If I were just sitting down, watching TV, and not being as determined as I am to succeed and provide a better future for my children, I believe that would be considered to a certain degree selfish. She's got 14 kids. How do you support 14 kids? That don't seem easy. And out of school, you just get a job. Is that how it works? In this economy, they just throw hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you don't know, this is the octuplets mom. She had six kids then by in vitro, right? And then she went and had in vitro again, had eight kids, just had them. And she lives with her mom and she's unmarried. The world outside is saying, what are you doing? I'm providing myself to my children. I'm loving them unconditionally, accepting them unconditionally. I don't disagree. I believe that you love all 14 and I believe that you love them unconditionally. I believe that, but that doesn't make it. Does that make it okay? Does that make it responsible? I'll stop my life for them and be present with them and hold them and be with them. And how many parents do that? I'm sure there are many that do, but many don't. Well, let's say that the answer to that is barely any parents do that. Let's say that that were the answer. Okay. Even if that were the answer, does that make having 14 kids in today's economy okay?
And how are you going to do that and support these children? How are you going to hug them and hold them and be there for them? Stop your life. Stop your life while you're out there trying to make money to raise these children. How are you going to be able to do that? Now, I think that's kind of imposing our will on her. Talk to me. It might be wrong. Call me crazy, dude. But remember yesterday we were talking about Obama imposing a limit on how much people can make. And you're going, man. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Who's all we're doing is give an opinion. No, no, no. I know. I know. I'm not suggesting that these kids be taken away. I know. But in a loose relation to that, you know, you guys opinions, which they're very firm, you know, that 14 kids is too many. Who knows, man? It might be. But that's her right. And if she could afford it, it's her right to have 40 kids if she wants. Rob, I got no problem with her doing it as long as she's responsible about it. And I don't know how you can be responsible about it. Being a single parent, living with your parents, not having a job. Brad and Angelina can have as many kids as they want because they have the resources to raise those kids. Hold on one second. I've heard stuff that Brad and Angelina's kids are a bunch of spoiled brats that don't behave.
And I've seen stuff that I've read. That could be true, but they have food. They got a roof over their head. They got clean clothes. She's living with her parents, so that's three adults in the house that are going to be taken care of. But they don't want them. They're going to kick them out. That's a big deal to me. Well, until that happens, and until we see, until there's some report that CPS is coming out going, these kids are not taken care of. Like, we can't just jump to that conclusion. Well, but isn't it logical? Isn't it logical? If they say they ran numbers on what it would cost to raise 14 kids at the age of 18, the number they came up with was 2.7. So that's just some math. All we got to do there is do some division. Tell me if I'm wrong here. She's got money coming in from... Whatever her lawsuits were before. She had a $168,000 settlement that came from... Well, that's how much disability she has gotten from August 2001 till now. I don't know how much her monthly disability payments are, but from 2001 up till today, she has total collected $168,000. Okay, she's saying she's going to try to get a job. Well, dude, do we have any disagreement that you cannot on one person's salary raise 14 children? Listen, I don't know how...
things are going to work out for her. But I know if she's got a goal in mind, you know, until she starts to fail, I think it's unfair to go, there's no way you're going to do it. I'm just basing my opinion on what I see. Okay, back in the day, dude, my dad had four sisters and three brothers. He had one mother, single parent, and they all got raised. Dude, check it out. My mom is one of 13 kids, but that was 1950-something. Okay, well, so, but it can be done. I don't know. I don't know how you do it now because it's so whacked out now. And you know what? Maybe she doesn't, but until then, how are we pointing fingers? No, no, no. I'm with you as she's, I think that she, I agree with you on this point. Until CPS goes in there and says, these kids are covered in, you know, stuff and they are not, they don't have diapers. I guess what I'm doing is, and I think what people are doing here is they're going, Well, that's not a very big leap. I mean, it's not a very big leap to connect that dot. Okay, I'll give you this. You know what? It's not the smartest thing. And maybe it isn't the wisest choice, but we don't know yet if she's going to be able to pull it off. Question. And I want to give her that. I got a question for you. Is there a number of kids that you would say, okay, now I'm pretty sure that this can't be done with one person's salary. Is there a number of kids?
In other words, if I said, Rob, she's got 100 kids, would you say, well, dude, that's too many. Well, yeah, if she has 100 kids, I'm like, she can't even live in a house with 100 kids. So what's your number? She's got 14. How dare you? Let's add four more to the mix. She's got 18 kids now. Is that all right? She's got 18. I mean, you know what? Let's see if she could do it. Oh, wow. Okay, 20. Let's see if she could do it. But doesn't common sense figure into this, Rob? I mean, miracles can happen for anyone. She could win the lottery tomorrow and be stoked. But common sense is telling us that it's going to be very, very hard and unlikely. I'm not saying it's not going to be hard. I'm not saying that, you know, common sense says, of course common sense is. You know what? That's a lot of kids who are a single parent. Too many. No, no, no. I'm not saying it can't be done. The word is too many. I'm just not going to go, you know what? She's wrong for doing this, and you're a failure already. I don't think anybody's saying that. I haven't heard anyone say that wrong at all. I'm saying I think it's irresponsible to have that many children with no job, with no other parent to help her support these children. I think it's irresponsible. That's my word. I get what you're saying. We can't do anything. Nobody can do anything until she messes it up. So the argument is...
Has she just by having the children and bringing them home already messed up? You say no. Yeah. A lot of people say, yeah, let's take some phone calls. 570-1053 is the phone number. P1 Maiden fan. What's up? I'm really intrigued by this woman's attitude towards this. I can see this happening like in the 1800s when most of us were self-sufficient on little farms. But this is mind-blowing to me. This is going to be an interesting social experiment. I think we should really watch it and see what happens with these children, especially between the ages of 16 to 22, and find out what happens. Because her cavalier attitude towards this is mind-blowing to me. Dude, I'll tell you one thing. The media will not let this go. We're going to follow these kids. No matter what, we're going to be following these kids to see. How well they're doing. P1 Scooby, what do you want to say? Come up to the microphone. Are we going to, like you're saying, are you going to follow these kids, right? Are you going to follow eight kids or are you going to follow all 14? And with that said, think about the future of these kids. One parent, like Eddie and everybody's saying, right? One parent. She's not an ugly woman. So it wouldn't be hard for her to find a man. So you get it, guys?
Women need men. Is that the point? What I'm saying is that it's hard for one person to raise 14 people, right? Yeah. Is any man out there going to want to come into a relationship with 14 kids? Hey, listen, he does bring up a good point. How many guys? You know, wait, wait, wait. The girl goes like this. The girl goes like this. The girl goes like this. Hey, I just met this new guy at work. He really is into me. And tonight I'm going to have the conversation with him to let him know I have a kid. Most of the time that goes well. Hey, tonight I'm kind of nervous. I got to let him know I have two kids. Boy, the nerve level goes up a little bit. Tonight I got to let him know I've got 14 kids. And live with my parents. Come on, let's go. Let's do this. Round one. First of all, the disability payments that she's bringing in. I understand Rob's, you know, she can possibly do this. We don't know. How much money, the overall disability, because from the period that she received disability, she got this money and instantly started having kids. In vitro fertilization on the cheap end is $10,000 a treatment. A treatment.
So she's had six treatments because none of the other kids were multiples. They were individuals. And their stair steps, like every 18 months, every nine months or whatever, she kept knocking these kids out. So that diminishes the amount of money right there. If she's already got $100,000, she's down to $40,000. So now we're talking, she's not paying rent because she's living with her parents, which she needs because if you're popping kids out and going to school, your parents who are still working their jobs now have to come in and help you. Change diapers. Do midnight feeding. I've never heard of a father, by the way. I've only heard about her mom. I don't know that there's a mom and dad. The mom and dad are. They are? Yes. But it's put an extreme strain on their relationship. I bet. And there are different knots. When it first started, everything was fine. You mean it's a strain when your 33-year-old daughter lives at home with her 14 kids? That's a strain? You know what I'm saying? Why is that a strain? And so now, she's in this. fantasy land because she's in she's not in school for business where she's going to come out and get this instant job she's in a school for child psychology where she wants to be this um you know work in the child psychology field
And they're not given multiple million dollar things like that. And as as your childhood can attest, where you had two parents and multiple siblings and you still felt alone and, you know, didn't have enough. You didn't have one or one on one time. You don't have to help. It is documented. It is documented proof. If you don't eke out that individual bonding time with your children, that developmentally. they're going to have some issues. So all these, first of all, the six kids that she has already, they're going to start acting out in school. It's a natural fact. You've got 14 kids. You can't have one-on-one time with these kids now. And all this money that you're bringing in... Oh, that's all well and good, but you got to pay for the insurance. Your babies are preemies, so there's health issues that are going to have to be addressed because their lungs are underdeveloped and they have to go through and do this. And the men that you're going to hope to get, because at some point you're going to want more than a test tube in there. You know what I'm saying? You're suggesting that she might want to have more kids with someone else?
Absolutely. She's got that thing in her head. She has not fixed the problem that's causing her to want to have the kids. That's psychological. Exactly. And so now she's getting attention. She's getting the attention that she's always craved. Oh, wow. That's true. And now if I'm a guy, she's got millions of dollars. And what do I got to do? Come in and change a few diapers? Who's not going to be attracted to that? For at least a couple million. Hello, Kevin Federline. Anybody. Anybody. You know? Where do you think she's going to have the millions? From doing the interviews? Here's the difference. You know that family in Kentucky, the parents that have the 18 kids? John and Nate plus... No, no. Ken and Ted and William. Yeah, exactly. They have the... Plus 11. Oh, no, no, no. Man versus Wild. No, Les Stroud. You know the ones that have the 18, 19 kids? You see the difference there? Okay, there are two parents. The mother stays at home. They're homeschooling the kids. I'm not down with that either.
They had their own home. Those kids are raising each other. There's a schedule. You know they are. The older kids are taking care of the younger ones. To a certain degree, but the parents are both involved. This woman doesn't have that structure. It is not appropriate. Michael? It might not be appropriate, but those kids mentally are going to be much stronger mentally, much stronger spiritually. They don't have to agree with their parents' spirituality at this point. Well, it sounds like you're making the case that it's better to do that then. Maybe we should suggest that we all have 18 children. I'm not having 18 kids. You might as well walk around with your uterus in a purse. But there's a huge difference. Her children, they're going to have some substance. We're not saying she won't be able to do it. There's going to be a payoff. Right now, it's all about her. It's all about her. I'm getting the attention. I'm having the kids. I'm getting the money. It's all about me. Look at me. I'm fabulous. Her kids are going to have that payoff. I don't think that this is going to generate.
Millions. I don't. Yeah, it may not. It may, you know, in a week, America may be over it and the money's not there. Yeah, she's got a strike now. Something tells me, too, that the money won't be spent. You know, the money's going to be spent, probably. She hasn't shown me that she's super responsible. Well, and a lot of people who would normally reach out to a family like this are so turned off by her situation that they're not willing. Like, you know, like companies like Procter and Gamble, they've already come forward because they've been asked, oh, what are you going to do for this woman? And they're like, we will provide for her what we provide for any family of multiple births. You know, one package of complimentary diapers, one package of wipes. You know, basically something that's going to last her like three days. Why should Pampers have to flip the bill? They don't have to. For her irresponsibility. But in the past, when people have had like, I'd say over six kids at once, usually they come forward and like, oh, we'll give you a lifetime supply of Pampers. They're not doing that. They're doing like a week's supply. And you know, like Gerber, nobody wants to be tied to that. Yeah. You know? Well, listen, I mean, I think it's the, the thing that blew it was.
And this is an interesting question for you guys. Let's say the prior six didn't exist. Same scenario, same exact set of situations. I still think it's bad. I think it's got a bad taste in people's mouths when they hear, you know, you had in vitro to have eight kids and you're not married and you don't have a job and you live at home with your parents. Like that seems just irresponsible. I keep going back to that word. Yeah, I think if she was married and, you know, worked, and then her and her husband had in vitro because they were having fertility problems, I think America would have supported her. Huge difference. John and Kate Plus 8. Great show. Stop promoting that. The show is Man vs. Water. That's a good one. That's a good one, too. Hey, P1 Ponce. Hey, what's up, guys? What do you think? I think this is asinine. I think we're all going to be raising this kid with our tax dollars. You guys think that? I think my mom worked three jobs just to get by in California. She had two kids, and she got all the help from the government agency, which is there to help people who need it. This lady, irresponsibly, when got pregnant, had eight kids. When she already had six, she couldn't take care of by herself.
Do we know she couldn't take care of them? Yeah, we don't know that. We don't know that. Well, at least she needed the mom. How is she taking care of them without a job? She's not taking care of them by herself. She lives at home with her parents. So she's clearly not. And I don't have a problem with that. I mean, if her parents are volunteering, saying, we want to help you, that's one thing. Because then you've got three people in the house trying to take care of the kids, which is fine by me. Isn't that what's going on now? But from what I understand, the mother of... The pregnant lady is out on this whole thing. Oh, really? She's like, this is crazy. And so now I'm like, OK, now you don't even have that support system. And that's, you know, that's crazy. Well, something happened. There's no doubt about it. Something happened in this chick's life that, you know, made her a little. Yeah, for sure. You know, because otherwise I don't think you're I don't think you do that. Something happened to you. That's right. I'm fighting for the American dream, Eddie. What the heck? You're crazy. How dare you? You're a mental facet over there, all right? You're upsetting me. Don't say that. God bless you, too. P1 Credit Union. Hey, good morning, guys. Good morning. I just want to kind of relate this to what you guys were talking about yesterday. I'm not trying to stir the pot because I know it was kind of a heated debate. Not at all. You guys said she's on disability. Yeah. So that means we're putting a tab for it. So if she's on disability, what right does she have to have that many kids? And this is what goes, you know.
Our economy is in such a horrible condition right now because American people in general are not being smart with their decisions. Yeah, this story takes on more relevance because of where we are with the economy. Exactly. I'll disagree. This hurts even more to most people. You know, here I am, you know, I'm military. My wife works a full-time job. And, you know, we're struggling to pay our bills. And here's a lady that, you know, is on disability, not doing anything, living with her parents. She's already had this many kids. We're waiting to have kids because we can't afford it right now. Question. Yes. Do you think she's right in the head? No, I do not. Okay. If we're talking about somebody that isn't right in the head, shouldn't we have compassion then and step in? Because if somebody is not right in the head, that means that they're incapable. And if you're incapable, then now you have a child safety issue. And one thing we've all been kind of avoiding, even me, even I've been avoiding this, is saying. They should step in and take those kids away. Yet, we keep talking about how we all kind of agree she's... Well, that's why I say I believe that CPS should absolutely at least start an investigation and figure out what's going on, why this lady feels like she needs 14 children, if she's able to take care of these children properly. Like, all these things need to be in the process now.
Well, I completely agree. And, you know, if she's not all there in the head, then she's going to cause further damage to those kids later on. What you guys said, being a loving mother who's, you know, compassionate, caring for her children, that's one thing. Trying to love each individual kid when you have that amount of kids, that's impossible. There's no way she's going to be able to do it, especially since she's going to get the boot from her parents anyway. 570-1053. What do you think? I'm going to rock 105.3. Holy cow. Back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love Wookiees. Sky. I don't know. Wait, wait.
What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Five minutes after 8 o'clock. Talking about the woman that had eight kids recently, so now she's got 14. P1 Harold had the greatest name. He called her the Octomom. And... We're taking your phone calls. She's also on the Today Show today. Today Show says they don't pay for interviews. But she says she's not talking unless she gets two mil. So we don't know who did what. It's unfortunate and that is selfish. Did you use the same fertility specialist for all of your pregnancies? Yes. So your fertility specialist knew that you already had six children? Yes. How many embryos were you implanted with? That was a... Well, of course, yes.
The same as with the others, six. Did he explain to you the risks of a multiple birth? Oh, with all of them. Absolutely, with all of them. You didn't want just one or two embryos? Of course not. I wanted them all transferred. Those are my children. And that's what was available, and I used them. I took a risk. It's a gamble. It always is. And a lot of couples, usually it's couples, do undergo this procedure. It's not as controversial because they are couples, so it's more acceptable to society. For me, I feel as though I've been under the microscope because I've chosen this unconventional kind of life. I didn't intend on it being unconventional. It just turned out to be. All I wanted was children. The deal is, if this were candle holders you were collecting, I don't think anybody has a problem. I wanted to be a mom. That's all I ever wanted in my life. I love my children. And you knew that you were not going to selectively reduce. Oh, no. Sometimes we have that dream and that passion and we take risks. Selectively reduce? Yeah, when you're pregnant with up to, you know, so many babies, it's actually, you know, kind of bad for the mother's health. And so doctors will say, hey, we can go in there and get rid of a couple of those because it's not safe to carry this many babies. And I did. And it turned out perfectly.
She said the fertility specialist implanted six embryos, two of which resulted in twins, and that that's about the same number as you just heard in all of her pregnancies because of her specific fertility challenges. According to public documents released on Thursday, Suleiman has received $165,000 in compensation after she was injured during a riot at a psychiatric hospital where she once worked. And those documents say that she suffered spinal damage and endured years of depression until she realized her dream of becoming a mother. Refuses to do so now, Matt and Meredith, adding that it's hard for her to accept any kind of help. She believes that she will find a way to get by with the help of her family and her friends and her church. Now back to you. P1, Derek is on the line. Derek, you there? Yeah, what's up, guys? How you doing? Good. Now, what do you think? Good. You know, I got kind of a question, and there's a lot of moral things that go around that she shouldn't be doing it for this reason or that. Why is it legal that she could even do it without a steady income? Don't you think that the fertility drugs should be a background check? I got a question. Yeah, I got a question. Now, I see your point. In other words, if you have six kids or if you have 14 kids and you can't take care of them, that doesn't sound right. And maybe that should be illegal. Is that what I'm getting? Yeah, maybe not. Not that point. It's just like if she's going to go in and get those fertility drugs, should they do kind of a background check on her to say? Let's say they did. And let's say she couldn't afford 14 kids. And they say, so you can't do this, right?
Correct. Okay. Now, what about if somebody comes into a doctor's office and they are low income and they are pregnant with a single birth and we do a background check and we realize, holy cow, you don't have enough money to support this one child. Well, how do they have money to do the in vitro then? No, no, no. What I'm saying is, is that they're doing in vitro, right? Right. And we determine that this couple is doing in vitro and they're going to have six kids, but they can afford it. And we do a background check, and we realize, hey, they've got a ton of dough. In fact, they've got enough dough to be able to support them. Okay. Okay, this other couple we check out, and we realize not only do they not have enough for six, they really don't have enough for two, one, you know? I would be confused as to how they're doing in vitro if they don't have money. Let's say they have enough for four. Let's say they have enough for four. But they don't have enough for six. Well, it's just kind of like when you buy a house, you have enough money to buy the house. But the bank wants to check that you have a reserve just in case you lose your job, that you have a reserve so you can pay like three months mortgage. The bank wants to see that money in your savings account. Same thing with in vitro. They want to, you know, that's what this guy's saying. You know, check your bank account. OK, it's obvious you have the money for this procedure, but you have money to support these children for at least a couple of years. And if they don't, maybe they don't do it. Yeah.
You know, because it's actually just her back like her. They were saying she was disabled. Like, can you really take care of all those back problems? How is she going to pick up all these kids? Well, let's now let's walk through this. Now, they don't do it. And why do they not do it if she's not if she doesn't have the income? Because she can't afford it. And what does that actually mean? She can't afford it. She can't afford what? to take care of them responsibly. Okay. And what would that mean? That would mean she couldn't afford to, say, buy diapers and go to doctor's visits. Yeah. Okay. Now, I'm tracking here. What? Now, this is an elective pregnancy. Yes. Meaning they are going in and deciding that they're going to do it on purpose. Okay. Yep. Helped along by science. Helped along by science, Holmes. Now, what? What we have determined is that, well, let's ask. Let's put the question out there. Why is it not okay for a parent to be able to care for their child? Why isn't that okay? Because of the welfare of the child. The welfare of the child. Okay. So now, let's take that argument. And let's take it with a family that is not going for an elective pregnancy.
But they end up pregnant. We've determined that what we care about is the child's welfare. Yep. Okay? So if the pregnant people are pregnant and they didn't do it electively, they just got pregnant, but they can't afford it, we would step in in this situation. Why wouldn't we step in in this situation? We absolutely would. If they have a child. There's a ton of them out there, though, right? Yeah, but if they have a child and they're not able to take care of it, you know. Hopefully somebody recognizes that and calls Child Protective Services and they step in and say, you're not taking care of your child responsibly. You have to do steps to make sure you're doing that. See, this is where I think it gets gray because we're like, man, there must be. thousands of them out there right now. There are. Absolutely. 100% correct. But I think the difference between the two is one is you're going and you're consulting a professional to have this done to you. That can stop it right then and then say, you can't do this. This is not wise. Stop it before it even starts. The other one is out of your control. It's all up to the individual. It's nature, bro. But we should still. Birds of the bees. Now, even though it's happened, now you have a kid, we've determined that what's important is the welfare of the child. So, okay.
What are we going to do? Rob, what were you going to say? What Scott was going to say? Yeah, I mean, I have a huge problem. We were kind of talking about this off the air is with the doctor that is doing this. I mean, it sounds like it's the same guy and he's allowing this to happen. He's the one that I think needs to be investigated. You made a great point about that off the air. Say what you said off the air about why are we not seeing the doctor? Yeah, I just, you know, I think the doctor. The way the media works is they latch on to the story and they're going to consume it until it is bare bones. And right now the story is this lady. And so they're going to consume her until the public is done with it. And then they'll look for a new angle to that story. And the new angle to the story after she's done will be this doctor. And I guarantee you you'll see him in the next coming weeks. I think Eddie is right. P1 State Farm agent, are you there? Yeah, I am there. Hey, gang, good morning to everybody. Good morning. You know, I think this is freedom of choice gone wild here. I mean, the way I look at this is 14 kids, single woman. I mean, society as a whole is going to end up burdened with helping raise these kids. And there's got to be some stopgap measures to prevent this from happening. I mean, legally, morally, there's a lot of red flags. Like what? Let's say you're a legislator right now. You can make a difference. What would you suggest? Well, I think what you guys have been talking about is some good ideas. I mean, when you get pregnant naturally,
the likelihood of you having six, seven, or eight kids at once is slim to none. So when you're going to do it in vitro, there should be some legislation that does involve some kind of background, making sure that maybe you can't afford, you don't have to necessarily afford all eight of them, but making sure that you've got the ability to raise your children, that you've got a good environment. It's kind of like if you're going to go adopt eight kids. They're not going to just let anybody walk in and adopt a kid. They're going to do a good thorough background to make sure that you've got the ability to raise those kids. Yeah, and like I think Whoopi was saying off the air, when you get cosmetic procedures done, there's like a psyche valve that you get done before you do that just to make sure you're not like cuckoo in the head. When you do what now? Cosmetic procedures. Yeah. And so why shouldn't it be the same with in vitro? Absolutely. I agree. It should be. Boy, it should be even stricter, right? Absolutely. You're talking about having kids here. Hey, I appreciate the phone call. Thank you, P1 State Farm Agent. All right, guys. Have a great day. Yeah. Our phone number, 570-1053. 570-1053. Did you guys hear about the burglar in Colorado that used a Star Trek sword for the burglary? What are you saying? Eddie. Eddie, was that? First of all, I would be using a Star Wars lightsaber, not a Star Trek sword. Thank you. My bad.

Very excited about this interview because it's one of my favorite shows on TV, 821 if you're keeping score at home. We are talking to, we are right about to talk to.
Richard Schlesinger. I hope I'm getting that. Is it Schlesinger or is it Schlesinger? Whichever you prefer. I answer to all. They both sound very professional, Richard. That's right. And Richard is a correspondent for CBS News 48 Hours Mystery, which is the greatest show. I have talked about this show so many times on the air and retold stories that I've seen because... The way that the show is produced, the way that the show is done is just incredible. Compelling and rich. It is. It's a great show. It's a great show. It's on Saturday nights on CBS. And if you do not TiVo it, you should be. It really is a good show. Especially because it's a big story in San Diego. We're profiling the Todd Summer murder case. It's fairly high profile out there, people who don't remember. Todd Summer was a 23-year-old Marine who ended up dying under what didn't appear to be mysterious circumstances at first. And as the investigation went on, they determined that his, the prosecutors determined that his wife killed him with arsenic. But, of course, that wasn't the end of the story, as you guys know. She ended up getting out of jail when some of the forensic evidence fell apart.
We have a lot of interviews with her. We've been following this case for years. And we've had some pretty extraordinary access to all the players. And so if you think you know about this case, as they say in the promotional business, you better think again. Because there's a lot of stuff we're going to tell you about tomorrow that you haven't heard before. Is she behind bars right now? She is not. She is not. She's living in Michigan. The charges were dismissed. um without prejudice which means i guess technically she could be uh recharged and that's that's still an issue um but she's got uh this case i mean i have never seen stuff i mean i've been doing this for 25 years yeah i have never seen a case like this one she did some shady stuff man right after he died well yeah you know uh yeah uh and and a lot of defense lawyers around the country have been paying attention to that because You know, she went out and partied and, you know, hung around with men and stuff like that, which became known as grieving unbecoming a widow to some of the defense bar around the country. You know, is that enough to charge her or not? I mean, you know, that's something the jury had to decide and the viewers will have to decide. But this case is so, I mean, this case has got so many surprises in it. It's like, you know, it was unbelievable. Every time we would turn around, there'd be a new development.
that would completely change the story. We're talking to Richard Schlesinger. He is a correspondent on CBS News 48 Hours Mystery. This is a great TV show, and it's a whodunit. And the way that they do it is just, I can't stress enough how well they do this show. You will enjoy it. You're making me embarrassed. Aw. Richard, let me talk to you a little bit about how you do your job, and then I want to talk to you about this case. Now, when you are assigned a story as a correspondent, is your job to become an investigator yourself, or do producers sort of help you along with this? No, I mean, it's a little bit of both. I mean, I do a lot of work. The producers do an enormous amount of work. You know, you find out after a couple of years of doing that, of doing this stuff, you kind of get a knack for, I don't know how to put this politely, your BS detector, if you will, in the final tune meter. And so you learn an awful lot just by talking to people and reading their body language. And, you know, it's a really interesting process. And you've obviously talked to Cynthia a number of times.
Do you recall the first time you ever met her? Yeah, yeah. Where was it? It was in Carmel, believe it or not. And we had a sit-down that lasted about three or four hours. For those people that don't know, Carmel is a pretty exclusive seaside city in central... Yeah, that's where she went first when she got out of jail, because she had some family up there, so I went up there to meet her. It's a pretty exclusive area in central California on the coast. Yeah, it's very nice. So you went up there to meet her, and what were your impressions of her when you met her? Well, you know, here's the thing, and you just have to give me a break on this one, because I never say before the show, because I don't want to influence what the viewers think. I mean, that's important, what people think of these folks. I get that. It's important. I get that, and I understand, because it's kind of going to unfold, You sort of want to make that decision for yourself. Well, especially this one. I mean, this one doesn't unfold. I mean, this one careens from like one development. I mean, this is like edge of your seat stuff. Yeah. I mean, particularly on this one. Now, it was in January 2007 that she was convicted of his murder. She served 876 days in jail. Yeah, that's almost two and a half years. Roughly two and a half years. That's a lot of time. That is unbelievable. And she got out because of, you know,
The prosecutor, Bonnie Dumanis, dropped the charges because of some late forensic work that came in. I'm trying to be a little coy just in case there are two or three people out there who don't know about it. I don't want to ruin it for them. Yeah, and I'm trying to be careful with what I ask because I don't want to ruin it for people either. It really is a great story. We'll just ask the listeners this. I mean, how many times have you heard of a case that had been... You know, going to trial, there was a verdict, everything was done, and everything gets reversed, like, you know, because of one test. That does not happen. On the show, Richard, is there going to be a timeline, so for those of the people that don't know it, they can kind of follow along? Yeah, oh, sure, yeah. I mean, it's not that hard to follow. I mean, there's a couple years involved, and things happen in a pretty good order. It's just that what happens is so unusual. The show uses the creepiest piano sound effect. Yes, that's me. I'm practicing. Coming in and out of the commercials that just kind of, along with the story, kind of gives you the creeps. Yeah. It's a great show, and we don't miss it. We watch it every week. Mikey, I'm going to have to have you call my mother. That's great. So, Richard, official cause of death.
Cardiac arrhythmia. Right. When he dies, they call it cardiac arrhythmia. Cardiac arrhythmia, which is basically heart failure. That's basically heart failure. Guy's 23 years old. And a Marine. Well, you know what? That does happen. I mean, you've heard of these, you've heard of athletes, you know, who collapse in the middle of practice. And I'm sure he had a record of that happening over and over again, right? I'm sorry, what? I'm sure he had a record of this sort of health problems. Over and over. No, he didn't. Oh, he didn't. No, but that's not, I mean, that's not, you know, that doesn't mean that he couldn't have had this. I mean, you know, I've heard of, you know, professional runners who are just running and just all of a sudden literally drop dead. It happens with sports figures. I mean, that does happen. That's not that unusual. If I'm on the prosecution side, I say, let's point out it doesn't happen regularly, but hey, listen, it does. Richard's not on the stand. That's right. That's right. I'm going to cross-examine Richard Schlesinger. Exactly. Oh, my goodness. Well, listen, we're going to be watching it. People will remember instantly because one of the big things about her case was she went out and got a boob job with some of the money that she got in health insurance? Life insurance. Life insurance. I'm not sure that's the technical medical term for it, but yeah. Breast augmentations.
She was partying in Mexico, hooking up with other Marines. I remember this story real good. And quite honestly, I am a person that says, hey, listen, people do grieve in their own odd little ways. I think that what was so compelling about her case was that maybe if she had gone out after her husband left and in a state of loneliness, hooked up with another Marine. And that was all you heard about it. Somebody might say maybe she was lonely. I think that when you couple that with the parties and the breast implants and you kind of put a... They had a Marine, I remember, that drove her when she found out about the death to, I think, the hospital that testified she didn't cry, she wasn't emotional. She was a Marine, she was a military policewoman. I mean, look, all this... stuff was brought out at trial. You didn't hear Cindy talk much about it, and you will tomorrow night. I mean, I question her pretty closely about all that stuff. We don't have much time left with you, Richard, but when you're interviewing her, are you interviewing her sort of in the same room? Did they let you do that, or were you behind glass? Oh, yeah. No, no, no. When she was in jail, we had to do it behind glass. But when she's out, yeah, we're in jail.
It's fine. You know, I would love to talk to you after the show airs and just break it down with you what you think, what you thought, what your impressions were, you know, all that stuff. Yeah, I'm very mysterious about that. That's right. Yes, you are. Call us back, Richard. Very mysterious. Please. I'll call you back if, Mikey, you call my mother and tell her how great the show is and how great I am. You got it. You got it. Thanks a lot, Richard. We appreciate it. That's Richard Schlesinger. I don't know if he's related to Dr. Laura Schlesinger. I don't know. I don't know. So is it tonight or tomorrow? I think he's Kim Basinger. Tomorrow night. CBS, 48 Hour Mystery. I wrote it on my hand. Dude, the way they do the show often has an element of creepy. Yeah. I've seen a few and I agree with you. Dude, it's so good, man. The show is so well done. I think our huge military audience is probably all going to be paying attention to this one. And I'm sure that our military audience probably knows a lot about this case. Because when you, I mean, we're talking about something that happened right here. Yeah. I'm sure that a lot of them probably know exactly what the whole thing's about. Watch. Even newer. Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm watching. When we come back, I have the Smiley Cyrus deal.
Where she's taking the pictures and she's pulling her eyes to look Asian. Yeah. She's commented. She's commented. And I still haven't told you about the guy in the burglar in Colorado that used the Star Trek sword. Do you think it was Sean? Too soon. Too soon. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. 5-3. Great. Is there a problem, officer? Do you know why I stopped you? Well, I'm the new spicy chicken enchilada platter from Taco Bell. So unless you're craving two spicy chicken enchiladas, seasoned rice and beans, chips and chunky salsa for dinner, can't say I do. Wow, you do sound delicious. But that's not the point. If this is about tickets to the policeman's ball... The point is that enchiladas usually take forever, and yet you're ready so quick. I'd say they were speeding involved.
Well, there's certainly no law against getting your enchiladas faster. Not to mention, I don't even drive. Tell it to the judge. Say some enchiladas just happen to find their way into your squad car. Would our little problem go away? Uh, what problem is that? Taco Bell's new spicy chicken enchilada platter. Smothered with warm, zesty red sauce and gooey melted cheese. For enchiladas at the speed of Taco Bell, think outside the bun. At participating locations for a limited time. What is racing done California style, you ask? I'm a desperate man. My face is like a baby's bottom. Dear Beard Science. Yes. So you're telling me your face is smoother than Sky hitting on a black guy, huh? Smooth. That is super smooth. That is smooth. Back to the mic. That's a ukulele. That's a ukulele. I plugged it in. That's right. You should see when he does like a... Like an MTV unplugged with like an acoustic ukulele. Oh, wow. That's rare. That's what I prefer, but. That's right. Miley Cyrus. Dude, I don't know what we should do first. Should we do Miley Cyrus or should we do the sword in Colorado, the Star Trek sword? Which ones? They're both delicious. They're both pretty delicious. Let's go Miley. All right, let's go Miley. Okay. Okay, so Miley Cyrus did Chinese eyes, okay?
Her and her friends. Her and her friends. Allegedly. No, not allegedly. We saw it. Oh, wait. We saw the picture. Oh. So she's in a photograph with seven friends and one Asian friend, okay? Wow. And all the, except for the Asian, all the kids are, you know, having a good time, standing next to them, and they're all making Asian eyes by pulling their eyes. Yeah, like half of them are pulling their eyes. The other half are just doing, like, the real tight squint. Right. And so. We were discussing it and we were kind of kicking around, is this right? And does it make a difference that the Asian friend is there and he's okay with it? And we were kind of knocking around these ideas. And we were all thinking to ourselves, boy, pretty soon we're going to hear what Smiley Lylee has to say about this. So, Skye, what has she said? Well, she took to her blog, everybody. Oh, good. Now, was it her blog or Hannah Montana's blog? Because that's the best of both worlds. That's right. That's what I'm saying. You should not know the facts to make that joke. All right. I'm just saying you're a man in your 30s. I have nieces. Okay. Thank you. Okay, so let me read to you from Miley's blog regarding these racially insensitive photos. I like it. Hey, what's up? Miley says, I've been told that there are some people upset about pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces.
Well, I'm sorry if those people looked at those pictures and took them wrong and out of context. Oh, we're the jerks. In no way was I making fun of ethnicity. I was simply making a goofy face. Everybody was making the same goofy face. Except for the Asian guy. Interesting, Miley. Interesting. When did that become newsworthy? It seems like someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. I feel like now that Britney is back on top of her game, they need someone to pick on. Lucky me. Britney's like, what'd I do? Yeah. It goes on to... On top of that, she adds Confucius says. Yes. So, yeah. That's garbage, man. So, Miley doesn't even apologize. She just says that they were goofy pictures, and she's sorry if people took them out of context. She's making a goofy face. Yes, she's making goofy faces. Aw. Dude, and we're the jerks. And she's, what, four, right? Yeah. Four years old? Dude. That's brutal. Question. Question. Question. Does she not have people that say,
This is what you should say. I, you know, I really have to question her people because whenever Miley is involved in one of these things, it's always really a weird response. So, I mean, I'm going back to when she was taking those racy pictures with her dad there, you know, for the photo shoot. Yeah. And then she was, you know, online bashing like her fellow Disney. people. And her responses are always really childlike. So I have to question, who are her people? If she has people. Because that's crazy. Every time I see her doing anything, it's with her dad. Is her dad her people? I don't know. Sky, do you know? No, I don't know who her people are. If it had been me giving my advice, I would have said, tell the truth. And do you think that it was wrong, what you did? Do you think it was wrong? And if you do, then say you're sorry. If, you know, she came out and said, listen, I didn't realize this was racially insensitive. My friend who is Asian there didn't have a problem with it. We were just being silly. I really apologize to the people that I offended and I will never do that again. I would have mad respect for that. But no, we were making goofy faces. See, now it's a whole new story.
Now it's become a whole new story. That's crazy. Yep. Okay. So in Colorado, a guy was burglarizing what? Skyahome? No. It happened at two separate 7-Eleven stores in Colorado. 7-Eleven? Yes. Like pick the place with the most security cameras? And probably not a ton of dough. Oh my gosh. What? Yeah. What did he do? I assume it's a he. That was really sexist. Could have been a woman. You don't know, Mike. Sky, why weren't you all over that? So, yes, Mike, you're correct. It was a man. Pick your battles, Rob. Thank you. And he went into two separate 7-Eleven stores wielding a crescent-shaped batleth.
Oh, yes. I don't know if I said that right. The one that the Klingons use. Yeah. Can we get him on the phone just to ask him about this story? Can we get Shawnee on the phone just to ask him about this story? Let's try to get Shawnee and ask him about this. And the funny thing is that both of the clerks at the separate 7-Elevens must have been familiar with Star Trek because giving the police reports, both of them specifically. Well, they whipped theirs out and then all of a sudden you heard. Yeah, because both clerks told the police. You really knew that song, man. You really knew that song. That was a huge episode. That's when Kirk and Spock fought each other. Yeah. That was a tough time. And they were enemies? Well, kind of. Kind of. I'll let Sean explain. Yeah. So both the clerks must have been familiar with Star Trek because they both separately identified the weapon as a Batleth.
or whatever, however you pronounce it. So they both were like, yeah, it's the Klingon, you know, crescent sword or whatever. Yeah, yeah. Like, I wouldn't know that. I'd be like, yeah, some creepy looking sword, you know. But did the guy get a lot of money? At the first 7-Eleven, he got away with cash, but at the second. A slurpee and a big bite. Yeah, the second store, he didn't get any money. Because the guy had a money belt on. Empty handed. Try him again, because I ammed him, and he said, okay. So try him one more. I hope Mos Def is okay. Yeah. Mos Def, that's his friend. Oh, he moved, didn't he? To Colorado. Yeah, his 7-Eleven friend. I heard it was Colorado. Yeah, that's what I heard. Maybe it was him. Cool Modi is in big trouble. Cool Modi. Yeah, that's tough times. Well, we are trying to get Sean. The expert. He'll know what this is about. He is a Star Trek. This is what he's been reduced to. Our Star Trek. Correspondent. Seriously. Like, literally. He has been reduced to that. Aww. I am dying to hear his voice on the air again. Yeah, this is going to be good times. Let's now go to special correspondent Sean King on the story. Let's see. She's still trying. I don't know if it's... Let me ask him what he wants us to call on. Cell or office? Shawnee. We got him. Ladies and gentlemen, it's a voice that we have not heard on these airwaves for a couple of weeks.
It's Shawnee O'Boy. How are you? Hey. Calm down. Oh, we love his face off. All right. Hi, Shawnee. Hi, how's it going there? Oh, Shawnee. You're going to love what you're on today. We have you on as a Star Trek consultant. Thank you. Okay, I can do that. We were calling. We were calling because in Colorado, somebody was ripping off a 7-Eleven with some sort of a Star Trek knife. It's a sword, Mike. It's a crescent-shaped batlet sword. Was it a batlet? That's weird. That's so weird. Now, Sean, is this the same sword that Kirk and Spock battled each other with? No, that was a different kind of sword. This isn't your time. Sean's here.
Go ahead, Sean. You could answer this one. No, it's not the same kind of sword. A bat lift is a Klingon weapon. If you were into Star Trek The Next Generation at all, you probably saw one on Worf's wall. Sean, I have a question for you. Do you remember the episode where me and Kurt put on our bath lift swords and we were doing slip and slide together? On guard. Do you remember the famous episode slip and slide? There's no such thing as that. What? Well, that is our expert correspondent. I love you. Yeah, I will say it's a very deadly sword. It's used in Klingon battle and Klingon ceremony. Is it deadlier than the horn soup? Yes. Do you remember the horn soup episode, Sean? I think it was entitled horn soup. Well, I'll tell you what. Let's see if you remember this. Yes! Don't do it! Really? Hey, listen. Those are jerks, man.
I wanted to know about Ken. I wanted to know about Ken and the horn suit. That is so uncool. I have to tell you, though, him hanging up on us is like the guitarist doing their solo. It's sort of like, you know what I mean? Well, I think you expect it. You do. Like, if he didn't do it, you'd want the encore, and you'd be like, I know he'll hang up. You didn't do Freebird? Yeah, come on. He didn't even hang up. It's impossible. It's not fair. Oh, that was a joy. Okay, other stuff that I have to tell you. Thank you, Sean. It was nice to hear his voice again. Blink-182 is reuniting as Grammy presenters. How about that? Yeah, so people hear Blink-182 reuniting. No, it's not like they're not going to perform or anything, but they are getting together as a band to present a Grammy this Sunday night. So who knows? Maybe that's the first step to something we'll have to see. You know that American Idol bikini girl? Yeah. She got offered Playboy. I knew it. Is she going to do it? Well, she says she's got a lot of different offers after being kicked off American Idol during Hollywood Week. She says Vegas promotional offers for her to be one of the hot chicks at Vegas clubs and stuff. She says, of course, Playboy is called. She says she wouldn't say no, but at the same time, she doesn't want to stunt her career by jumping into that too soon.
Being labeled as just a body. And then she also has to throw in there that the editing on American Idol really made her look bad. And Wednesday night's episode was edited poorly and she rehearsed it. You don't believe it. Hey, they compared me to William Hung and that wasn't even real. What? Yeah, she said she rehearsed a lot more than they showed. It was. Yeah, right. I didn't even meet the judges, and they said I sound like William Hung. How's that possible? Hey, listen, I know it on good authority. So you don't sing like that? One of those producers told Ashley she had a great singing voice. You know that? They didn't put that in there. Yeah, they didn't even put that in the show. Yeah. In fact, when she first started singing and they brought her in front of all the other judges, the first judge said, Hey, you're fantastic. We'd like to have you go to the next level. That's right.
She sounds more like Cher than she does Whitney Houston. This is a Romanian orphan? No, dude. What is this? It's a Russian orphan. You're going to be the only one. Oh, William is so much better. That's a lie and you know it. Why don't you lie, Eddie? I'm not lying. Don't you feel bad? You're just lying out of your face? You ever heard her do System of a Down? I don't want to. Wake up! Make up! Did you not hear me? I didn't. Did you say no? Yeah. What about toxicity? Conversion. Software. Version. Version. Version. Version. It's like Kermit the Frog with a concussion. Yes, it is. It's like a puppet. It is. I'm in character. What? Let me tell you something. The Mikey Show website is being deemed one of the best websites in all of Clear Channel's radio stations. It is? It is. Let me tell you about BMW Encinitas. Now, first of all, I can talk to you from experience about BMW Encinitas because it's the only BMW dealership in San Diego that I feel comfortable with. It's the only dealership in San Diego that I can tell you when you take your car into BMW Encinitas for service, you're going to get a BMW loaner going out. And a lot of the places are charging you for it. BMW Encinitas doesn't do that. They're about 25 minutes from anywhere in San Diego.
and I personally know their general manager, Brian, and he's a good guy. I remember going down, I didn't even know this was going to happen, where I went in to stop by with him one day, and he very spontaneously said, hey, you want to come in with us to our meeting? I went into one of their board meetings, sat at this big table with him, and he said, we have to make sure Mikey's listeners are taken care of. And I remember internally thinking to myself, I wonder what the look on my face looks like right now, because that was really cool. And he stressed it with all of them. He wants P1s taken care of. And so jump on this opportunity. They don't have very many 08s left. And we want you to be able to take advantage of what's going on down at BMW Encinitas right now. They are on Encinitas Boulevard between the 5 and El Camino Real. It's BMW Encinitas. Now.
Back to Mikey. I text a lot, but I'm the farthest thing from him. Eddie. I gotta tell you, like, the older I get, the more and more I become into, like, history stuff. Sky. Um, you know, your friend's a little sensitive and isn't a big fan of violence. Boston Rob. I watch a lot of Food Network lately, and it's mostly because of you. And Ashley. Like, I love my bangs, and they grow out so frequently. Save that clip. I know. Save that clip. The Mikey Show's on. Welcome back. It is 9.02 and a couple of things, a couple of things I want to get to. We're going to get to the sports third here in just a second, which if you are not familiar and you don't know yet what the sports third is, it's about the raddest thing on the radio. It's our Oracle. It's the sports Oracle. Eddie, he hits all the top stories in sports, but. The cool thing about it is there's always, every single day, there's a controversial story going on in sports. And so, Eddie, tease us a little bit. Tell us what we will be hearing here in just a second. Oh, it's a good one today. Oh, no. It involves the Padres. Oh, no. It involves one of their giant prospects and a scandal with him. I don't know if I can handle it, dude. Come on, bro.
Very quickly, Sky is going to tell us about the guy in New Hampshire that sued the golf course after blinding himself with his own ball. Okay, wait. Four to myself. This 67-year-old guy describes himself as a casual golfer, not a professional by any means. That's what I am. Yeah. I know. And you fell out of the cart. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was drunk. I'm a casual golfer, though. Yeah, yeah. So I guess he was golfing. It was your fault. I wasn't my fault. It was because you were drunk too, number one. That's my fight. That was numero uno. Accurate. But you were the one hanging out the cart. And you purposefully yanked the steering wheel. What am I supposed to do, Mike? And then you laughed. It was hysterical. Different time. Well, anyway, you guys. God, I wish we could go back there. No, you do not. How fun would that be? It wouldn't. So the guy's golfing and he hits the ball and I guess it ends up hitting one of those yardage markers and bounced off and came back at him and whacked him in the eye, leaving him blind in that eye. So he is suing the golf course because he says they failed to warn him that there were yardage markers on the course. So what would that warning say?
Like while you're getting all your stuff. Attention golfers. There are yardage markers on the course, so be careful not to hit them with your ball because they could ricochet, come back, hit you in the eye, and blind you. Yes. Yes, basically. Is that what the yardage markers would say? Yeah. You know, I mean. There's trees. There's fences. There's sometimes houses. They need to have that as a warning. Squirrels. Yeah, squirrels. Definitely the squirrels. They're crazy. That's crazy. That is the weirdest story of now. The top sports stories of the day. It's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Hopefully nobody gets blinded in the eye out at the Buick Invitational because that is going on right now. Hopefully the rain, the rain looks like it's let up over here in Kearney Mesa. Hopefully it's let up out there at Torrey Pines. and they can get round two. And Camillo Villegas is the early leader yesterday. He ate up the north side. He ate shots, 63, and is the leader by three in the clubhouse. I still have that if you want to play it. His clip? Oh, yeah, sure. Camillo Villegas. Pretty fun out there, obviously. Two chip-ins. That helps. One on number two. We understand that he's a Latin sensation. That's not why. I didn't mean to. I unfortunately hit the wrong button. That's uncalled for.
Anyway. Okay, here's the crazy story out of the Padres camp. You guys remember former number one draft pick Matt Bush? He's the kid that was drafted out of Torrey Pines High. I'm sorry, Mission Bay High. He was the number one overall pick. Now, the Padres selected him back in 2004, number one overall, because he was a local kid and he was more affordable than some of the... huge prospects they could have signed. We just got here when that happened. I remember you talking about it. It was kind of controversial because they bypassed bigger guys in the draft because they knew they could sign this local kid. And then, like, a couple days after they signed him, he got into this altercation at, like, a nightclub and got into a fight, and it was all this big, you know, to-do about that. He's had a couple of run-ins with the law. He hasn't been very good so far in the Padres system. Right. Well, now apparently he's being investigated again by the police for another drunken assault. Oh, my gosh. And the Padres were like, okay, we're done with this guy. Wow. He's done. And they designated him for assignment, which means if nobody picks him up, he'll be released. Oh, boy. So, I mean, in the span of a couple of years, this guy went from being the number one overall draft pick to jobless. Oh, fuck.
It's crazy. It's a really unbelievable story. That's brutal. Hopefully that guy gets his stuff together. Talk about blowing an entire career. That kid is done. The Padres decided they're going to go out. Now they have a room on their roster. They decide they're going to go out and sign somebody. Rob says he can play. It's a little league experience. Very small little league experience. It's still experience. They didn't sign Boston Rob. They signed veteran outfielder Cliff Floyd. He's not really going to be a starter. He's going to be a guy that comes off the bench and does a lot of pinch hitting and things like that. But Cliff Floyd, who was on the Devil Rays last year, he's been on the Red Sox, he's been on the Mets, he's been on the Marlins, a few teams. So he is a new Padre. Everybody excited about Cliff Floyd? I don't know the name. I can't say I know the name. So this is a crazy story. Former Cowboys wide receiver Terry Glenn was arrested on public intoxication and marijuana possession after appearing disoriented at a hotel in Dallas. And, you know, apparently he was really messed up when the cops arrived and he was like wandering the halls and was completely out of it. And the cops had to arrest him. Dude, that's a couple of stories and dudes just kind of.
falling from grace. You know what I mean? Going from being big time to... I remember Terry Glenn was the biggest thing coming out of college, man. He was so thought of as going to be a great player. Wasn't Terry Glenn the one that Bill Parcells said she? Yeah, it was a big deal. He called him she. He was kind of injury prone at the beginning part of his career. And Bill Porcells was, you know, doing his press conference and they're asking about Terry Galani and he kept saying, yeah, she's not going to be on the field and she's not going to do this. And everybody's like, why are you feeling in shade? It was crazy, man. You know, Bill Porcells is usually much more sensitive than that. We know him as being just a really... Kind sweetheart. And then real quick, last night was a rematch of the NBA Finals where the Lakers beat the Celtics in overtime, 110-109. You guys get a ring last year for that win last night? Did you? Oh, no. He's going after Scooby. Scooby's an L.A. fan. Is he? Oh, yeah. The Dodgers. You get a ring for last night? Stop fighting, everybody. Scoob, are you from L.A.? Is that the deal? Are you from L.A.? He's from L.A. Got it. Sorry.
Speaking of L.A., they're going to be doing a tribute to Neil Diamond tonight in Los Angeles. Really? For what? That's true. The Recording Academy is honoring Neil as its Music Cares Person of the Year. Really? Yeah, so a lot of celebrities will be on hand performing Neil Diamond music. Sweet. Yeah. I can do it. First of all, stop the music. Maury, stop the music. Maury, stop the music. And the Achilles heel. Ooh, that aorta. This dude's got all morning to work on it, and all he comes up with is aorta. You came up kind of quick, Neil. I haven't gotten my list. Let me ask a question here, all right? What list? Anyway. Who's performing for me tonight? Well, doing some of your cover songs tonight. Coldplay, Adele, Josh Groban, Fake Hill. What's Adele? It's a type of computer. Yeah, that's what I thought.
No high five for that. It's a female singer. A female singer. Adele. Her name is Adele. What about Gateway? Is Gateway performing? Josh Groban, Faith Hill, Kid Rock. Kid Rock? And the Foo Fighters. Oh, my. We'll be doing Neil Diamond stuff tonight. What do you think of that, Neil? In your honor. I'll tell you exactly what I think about it. I put it down in song for all you hippies. Oh, you did? Yeah, that includes all you, too, with your long hair. I have short hair, right? Your long hair, your bell bottoms. I get what you're doing. I'm high and tight. Yeah, you're trying to have unprotected sex is what you're doing. I got it. Here's one for you, then. Are you ready? Let's do this. Come on. What is a foo? Why should I fight me one? What is a foo? No, it's the name of their band. B-Rob has hairy buns we found out yesterday. That's true. They were real gross. I'm going to vomit. Get out of here. Get this away from you right now. Get in the pancreas. I wish I could talk to Mike right now. You're a creep. You're a dirty creep. Does she know that there's rules to broadcasting? Does she know? I'm furious. Her things you can't say. Get her out of here. Rob, remove her. I almost spit everywhere.
Neil, I'm sorry about this. It's all right. I must have hurt, Ashley. I mean, this is supposed to be a tribute. Yeah, she's in there snorting a bunch of veterinarian medicine. She is. I believe she's on Fruity Pebbles. That's right. Just like all you young teenagers out there on your Fruity Pebbles, aren't you? Yeah, Rob. Aren't you all on your Fruity Pebbles? Yeah, Rob. Wait. Let's do another song. Let's go. It's a musical morning, Eddie. But I don't think this... This is it right here. It hasn't worked out so far. Hey, you don't know. This one's going to be different. Okay. I'm Neil Diamond. I hope you enjoy this song. I wrote it right now. Wait, right now. Tonight in L.A., they will all meet to honor the hottest thing in sequined jeans. Nice. Old players lame. Oh, wow. That's not true. They ripped off satry arms. Oh, that's a good point. Prince ripped me off with purple rain. How did he do that? Rob. Boston Rob. Nipple rings. Looking like hand grenades. Great point, Neil. Yeah, he wears nipple rings. Baby maker. Thank you.
That's the kind of thing I look for from my nephew. That's not your nephew. African-American nephew in there. That's Ashley. 1.0%. 100.1%. I don't think so. What are you people doing here? Our phone number here is 570-1053. Sky, it's got some headlines here, right? Okay. I got some headlines for you. For me? Yeah. Exclusively for you. Okay. What I'll do is I'll set him up, you knock him down. Okay. Tell me about the Brazilian model that said that his ex-boyfriend is none other than ex-New Kids on the Block member Jordan Knight.
Oh, I knew it. Well, NKOTV is back together, Mike. I knew it. Don't take that away from them. All right. Yeah, this 27-year-old Brazilian model says, and he has pictures, that he had a long-term relationship with Jordan Knight and that they were in love. He also said that Jordan confided in him that he realized he was gay after he was dating Tiffany back in the day. He realized. Doesn't he have a wife and kids? He has kids. Yeah. No wife? No wife. Because I knew, I remember when he was doing that VH1. Yeah. Whatever it's called. Surreal life. Yeah. Like there was something with his gal and kids and something like that. I remember that. Well, you'd think too that Tiffany would be like, why do I have to get? Yeah. What do I do? I think I'm alone now. Okay. You got what you were doing. What happened, everybody? Mm-hmm. So. What do you guys think? Wait, did I say Jordan or Jonathan? It's Jordan. Oh. Is it not Jordan? Sky. You're the new kitchen expert. What's the matter with you? I met Jonathan. Mike, this is a whole different story. She's a journalist, bro. I would like to issue a public apology to Jordan Knight. Oh, my God. We're going to get sued. How dare you? I issued up an apology. It doesn't matter. A retraction. A retraction. Oh, my.
Jonathan. Which one's that? Jonathan. Very, very bad words. The one that nobody cared about. Yeah, the one that nobody really liked. I didn't know that there was somebody in the band named Jonathan. Jonathan is, like, upset that his thunder is being stolen again. Yeah. His brother, Jordan. Yeah. That's unbelievable. I can't even get a gaze through. Well, I'm speechless now. So that's what that Brazilian model's claiming. He was his boyfriend. That's not even... Who cares about that? But you cared about Jordan? Absolutely. He was the cute one. What? What? Dude, you are... Forget it. You're done. You're dead. You're all really funny today. Anyway. So, what else we got? Set them up. I'll knock them down, Mike. All the incorrect facts you need. Say facts. Oh, no. Hey, Skye. What's up? Oh, my God. They asked people if they would take pay cuts to save jobs at their work? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, there's two different studies that ask this question. One was done by the Wall Street Journal. The other was done by MSNBC. They say, would you take a five-
5% pay cut to save jobs at your work? Probably for my friends. To save other people's jobs or my own? Other jobs. Your friends. If we could have Sean and Seth back, I'd even give that. How many people do you think? Are we all in on that, by the way? 5% on the show? We're all in on that? I will suggest it today. Wait, wait, wait. Go for it. If we put us all together with 1%, that's 5%, right? I'll do 5% on my own. I will, too. I'll do it. I'll do it. Okay, fine. I have to now or I'm a jerk. Mike, why'd you have to call me on that? I think that the four of you are wonderful people. Hornswoggle. I'll do $5 absolutely no problem. Yes, Mike. Did you say $5? I can do it in payments, right? And it can have my face on the bill, right? I'll print them at home. Yes. Do you accept monopoly money? So what percentage of people do you think said they would do that? I would say 90%. No. Not that high? I don't think so. No way, dude. At least half. People are too greedy. This is their friends, dude. They're too greedy. People are so greedy. Is it an anonymous poll? Yes. 50%. No, we have names, Mike. Okay, Mike says 50. I say 50% said yes. All right.
Edward Pumplemousse? Boy, it's tough. I'm going to go 49%. How dare you? How dare you? I got to do it to somebody. Ashley? I'll say 48%. You're a jerk. You got real rocks on you. You know what? I'll go 47%. Well, the two different studies came up with different percentages, but the average of the two, Boston Rob is the closest. What is it? The Wall Street Journal poll found that 33% said they would take the cut, and the MSN poll said 50% would take the cut. Well, we've all said here on the show that we will take a 5% cut to get Sean and Zeth back. .5. Yes, I am in. I am in on that. That is right. You got it. Let's see. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, I'll send in 20 bucks to get Sean's death back. Oh, I love it. Maybe we can take a... Send it in. Maybe we can take... Address it to Boston. Maybe we can take a, you know, like a donation thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll start this. Telephone.
And all the P1s can send in money to get Sean and Zeth back sometime. A Sean-a-thon? Maybe we should do a Sean-a-thon. Scooby just threw down $10 on my desk. Hey, if I could get Zeth to write me back, I'd love to offer him his position back. That would be really awesome. No, don't be like this. For sure. What happened? Did you write him? What did she say? Maybe he has the wrong email address. She said that he writes all of us back. Really? I don't know. I haven't written him. Oh, well, then I'll have to write him and let him know that. No, maybe he has the wrong email address. What does that even mean? Mikey Show. What did Whoopi say? Call paparazzi. I'm sure he has everyone's email address. She loves their paparazzi. Mikey Show. Hey, how you doing? P1 Pops. What's up, dude? Not much. Just saying, hey, I would contribute to you. Yeah, dude. I think it would be great. Listen, I would not pass up any opportunities that we could possibly come up with. Let's start Sean's House Foundation. We can have out-of-work DJs live at this house and come in and broadcast. What do you guys think? How about Second Chance Sean? Yeah, I like that.
Kind of like Sober House, but funnier. Yeah. Totally. Exactly. Thank you. Mikey Show. Oh, Mikey Show. Hey, do you want to burn the word? The DSC got their Route 66 back for some reason. Did they really? No, they didn't. Not really. But Ruth just calls in every morning, and she just sits on the phone and just talks when she wants to. Or they have her as a special guest. As a special guest. Maybe we could have Sean as a special guest. Absolutely. I would love that. I would love it. Yeah. I would love it too. We had him as a special guest today. Special correspondent. A special correspondent. That's different. That's a big thing. But he hung up on us. That's the thing, you know. That's the problem. The first Sean joke and he's out. Yeah, the first. Because he doesn't have to now. Like before he had to stay because he was being paid. But now he could just leave whenever he wants to. That would be rough. Mikey show. Yeah, hello. Hello. Hey, what's up? What's up, man? Well, I appreciate that. And I am going, I can't say, but I think that's great. And I would love to ask the powers that be, what can be done? And can we do some kind of thing like that? What if we were able to raise, you know, enough money for like a salary? I don't know. Well, it'd have to be salary plus taxes.
Yeah, well, he made $2.4 million when he was doing it. So all we got to come up with is $2.4 million. Shouldn't be tough. Judd Apatow. Is that how you pronounce it, or Judd Apatow? How do you pronounce it, Eddie? Yes, it's Apatow. I think it's Patel. As you pronounce it, Patel. Judd Apatow is making custom segments for the Oscars. That's great. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so these are going to be, they say, pre-produced and live material that will be done during... Yeah, he's the guy behind, like, 40-year-old Virgin. Don't have Seth Rogen. Don't have Seth Rogen in all these. Oh, you know Seth Rogen's going to have to be himself. That's his main man. That's his boy. That's his main dude. Oh, that's going to be cool. I would like to do... Probably have Will Ferrell, right? Yeah. Okay. I would like to do a documentary on Ashley's bangs because Ashley adjusts those bangs. Yeah. And I've asked her this before, but for the benefit of people that are just tuning in, Ash, what are we looking for here with the separation? Because you're looking for something specific with the bangs. Why do they get so much attention? Well, what I'm curious about, and they are perfect. I mean, in defense of her bangs, she gets them perfect. But what is she going for? What are you going for here? Well, this is a compound question. Prior to me growing out my bangs.
That means it's been broken all the way out of the bone. The bone comes out of the skin. The two-ply question. My old bangs that I had throughout the summer were your basic going across the forehead. And I would just disperse them with my fingers evenly across the forehead. But now, Mike, I got the side swoop. And so it's important to keep the swoop just as evenly dispersed. This is worse than a Michael Morgan. Thank you. You're worse than Michael Morgan. Eddie. Eddie. She got you there. Can you tell people about how you hit the lottery? I don't want to talk about this. Wait a minute. I don't want to talk about this. Well, you had to have won something. You had to have won something. You had to. What is he saying? Eddie? All right. I play the lottery randomly. Yeah. Like a 7-Eleven. I'm already annoyed. You're annoyed? Really? Oh. It's very rare that I play the lottery. Rare every once in a while I play the lottery. But when I do. I play the same set of numbers every time, and then I'll buy some Quick Picks or whatever, but I always play the same set of numbers. So randomly last week, Deborah, my wife, came home with two Quick Picks and gave them to me. She's like, here, I bought you some lottery tickets. I'm like, oh, cool. And so yesterday I went on to check the winning numbers, and I looked, and the numbers that I normally play that are my numbers, I would have hit four out of five of those numbers. Super or mega? For Super Lotto.
Okay. Still pretty good. What would have been? It's a percentage of the winnings. I don't know. Do you pick five numbers plus a mega? Plus a bonus number, yeah. So you would have had four out of the five. I wouldn't have had the mega, so I don't know if that. So automatically you're taking a big hit with your winnings. Like if you don't have the mega. I don't care what it was. It would have been a thousand bucks. What drawing was it? On Wednesday. It just tripped me out looking at those numbers, seeing. Four of my numbers on there. Wednesday was the four. I started sweating. Four numbers? It would have been $1,000. At least. Oh, no, $95. 1,000 people had that. It would have been $95. 1,000 people had four out of those six? Yeah. You need that mega. Four plus the mega would have been $2,000. Five without the mega, $28,000. Five plus the mega, $70 million. The mega is that key element, dude. So you didn't do that, but it was $95. I hit $11 on two tickets. It's just weird seeing your numbers. Like, if you play a set of numbers, I mean, because I kept looking, and I'm like, wait, that's my number, that's my number, that's my number, that's my number. Like, I started to freak out a little bit. Dude, are you kidding? Oh, cheddar. Sorry, I got to play every week. You would have been in 95 air. Easily. Almost 100 air. I'd have split it with you, Rob. Oh, thanks. Oh, wow. Wait for it.

Don McLaurin's on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show. Hey, people, I'm Brad. What's up, Brad? I went to Sleep Train, got myself one of the freaking nicest mattresses there. They gave me it for less than half a bite. What kind of mattress? I got the Serves and Fosters Silver Dream. That's the one I have. That thing is supposed to be like $69.95 or something. I think I got it out the door $28.50. I got it for $3,200 and then somebody else at another store beat my price. So they came back and beat it by 5%. Damn. That's nice. And they gave me free mattress cover. What is it? What size did you get? A twin? Or what did you get? I got the California King. Oh, you big pimp. Ashley's in. Oh, dude. It's pretty comfortable, huh? That big audio dynamite? Yeah. How did you know that? It's a great song. Wow, it is a great song, but it's an Adam Sandler movie song. It is? Black movie. Big Daddy, I think. Oh, okay. All right, welcome back to the show. I said that Etta James was making statements. First of all, she made a statement, said that she didn't like it,
Beyonce was singing her song. She said she was going to whip her ass. Yeah, she capped first on the president saying, you know, the one with the big ears and then went on to say, he ain't my president. He may be yours, but he ain't my president. And then went on to talk about Beyonce saying she's singing my song. She's going to get her ass whooped. That's right. So she said all this at a concert in Seattle. And now it's become big news. It's like on the front of CNN. You know, everybody's talking about it. Beyonce won't comment on it. Well, now she has issued a statement to the New York Daily News saying that she really didn't mean anything by it. And even as a child, she's always had that comedian type of attitude. And that's probably what. Wanda Sykes. And what she was doing up there. And she said nobody was getting mad at her for saying that at her concert in Seattle. And everybody was laughing and everyone thought it was funny. Yeah, because they didn't know what else to do. So she's basically saying she was... It's the only thing comfortable to do, Etta. She was joking around. What is she, Whoopi Goldberg? Dude, check out what Whoopi Goldberg said. Whoopi. Whoopi.
Did she meet with Etta James before? That's typical of actors, right? There might be something underlying of, you know, I don't even... Hey, and by the way, just so I put this out there, who cares what they say on The View? It's a dopey show, you know, that I would never watch in a million years. You watch it all the time, yeah? I do not watch it all the time. Well, you season pass it and then watch it later. I have it on DVD. I don't need to watch it all the time. But every once in a while... Something happens where I just want to examine what's being said. And in this case, I want to examine what's being said. If they met together and talked. It's a funny thing when somebody does something that is kind of your signature. It's very hard. You know, I know, and this is a confession. I hope you're ready for it. It was really hard for me when they did the musical of The Color Purple. Uh, on Broadway? I was like, oh my God. The music of the Broadway musical? Yeah, the Broadway musical. And you kind of, you know, walk around going... Like, did you want to be in it? No, but it is a huge part of you. And, you know, this song at last, that's what most people know immediately, that's Etta Jane. And so I think it's very hard when someone not only...
is able to take your song, but then does it at such an auspicious occasion. It's like, why not me, damn it? That's my auspicious occasion. Yeah, you're not supposed to say that. Rob's the one that uses the word auspicious. See, so now Whoopi, now Rob, you know how she feels. Oh, man, I'm walking around like... See? Exactly. Rob is the one that made the word auspicious famous. I did. And now they're doing it on Broadway. I forgot about that. No, I did. To me, that's another one of those examples of, okay, listen, you're entitled to feel whatever you want. It's just that you can't start smearing it all over everybody. You can feel any creepy thing you want to feel. As soon as you start smearing it all over everybody's face, that's when it's not okay. That's when it's Hasselbeck? That's when it gets kind of Hasselbeck. It's all Hasselbeck. Yeah, it happens. Okay, so our president of the United States of America. He's so good and casual. That's right. He's just awesome. By the way, there are a couple of parts of this story with President Obama. I don't know if you've heard this. What?
audio book, The Audacity of Hope. And he speaks in his own voice reading his own book. Well, they've taken a couple of the clips and they've... Buy your own damn fries. Use them. What? That is great. There are white folks and then there are a** like you. Oh, jeez. This is actually Barack Obama. Wow. This is actually Barack Obama reading his book. A little, I would think. Sure you can have my number, baby. Oh, wait a minute. Hey, I like that one. Play that one again, Mike. So what happens when we go out to a party with some sisters, huh? What happens? What about the white girls? They on us like there's no tomorrow. High school chicks, university chicks, it don't matter. Whoa, Barack Obama. Whoa, Barack Obama. You are disgusting. Hear him out. Sure you can have my number, baby. Thank you. What do you think of these? Those are probably going to be pretty good in the coming days. So those just came out because of his deal with him doing that book. And it was just a matter of time. President Obama is under a little bit of fire right now because he screwed up with Tom Daschle.
A few of his choices. Well, and he's, you know, been in the news a lot this week because, you know, he's handling things very differently. Like we were talking about today, he doesn't wear a coat in the Oval Office. And earlier this week when he was called out. He had a basketball court in the White House. He appoints people who don't pay taxes. That's true. I mean, these are all real different. These are all facts. Well, when he was called out for that. She's seething around. When he was called out for that, he took a different approach. trying to BS and cover it up. He said, you know what? I screwed up. I was wrong. I see that now. And that's cool. Yeah, that's right. Hey, President Bush. Hey, President Bush, what about you? Why don't you tell us? I thought you retired. I can relate. I'm a former president. Cue the music. President Bush? Hey, President Bush. Hey, Maggie. You can probably relate to this, right? I can relate. We've all been there. He's barely there. Hold on, hold on. Some say I may have messed a couple of things up. A couple? Like what? Well, one time I started a war because I thought some dude had nukes or something. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. There was that one time. I wasn't sure. It was more of a hunch. Okay, well, you probably should have looked into that. Nothing wrong with that. Well, there is. Mistakes are mistakes. Everybody does them. All right.
I remember one time I jacked up the economy. Well, there was that one time. I remember that time. Whoa, what do I do? What? Sorry. Remember that time? My bad. Yeah. Yes, you did. I can own up to that. Yeah. All right. I can't believe that Obama has messed up already. I mean, that must be so embarrassing. Yeah, yeah. You wouldn't do it. You know what they say? Full you once, shame on. Take two. Here we go. Try it again. Try again. Full them, shame on again. Wait. Take three. He has a hard time with that. I won't be fooled again. That's a great song. Let me give some tips to you, Puff Prez. Go ahead. That's not his name. Go ahead. Did he just call President Obama Puff Press? What is it? Puff Press? P-Baracki? What does he call it? Does he change his name or something else? It's just President Obama. Or Puffocki. No, it's not. Is it that? Obama. President-y? No. President-y. There you go. It's President-y. President-y. Okay, that's enough. I know he likes to smoke cigarettes. Yes, he does. And nothing goes better with cigarettes than a nice tanker and tonic. Okay. That's true.
That's true. Hope the kids aren't watching. Yeah. That guy's a great role model, isn't he? Well, they are. They are watching. That's the problem. He's a good guy. He's an adult, yeah. You know, Brock, since you're in the apologizing mood, maybe you should apologize for those ears. No! I've got a question for you, Mikey. If you put a feather in his mouth, do you think he could fly? That is not nice. That's a juvenile, President Bush. That is juvenile. It's a Dumbo joke. I get it. Sky, I don't know if you've heard this, but me and some of my Washington boys are starting to call him Screech. Well, that's not nice. He screws up so much. Would you be more comfortable with Gilligan? No. I don't know how that guy does it. I tell you, when I was in office, I mean, you'd rarely hear about me screwing up. I never heard about you. That is a misunderstatement. I think my record is pretty clean. It's awesome. Thank you very much. Thank you. Forgive me for calling you, dude.
No problem, bro. Thank you. Fist kiss. It's a fist kiss. I don't know anything about that. I have a question. Go ahead. Now, why isn't the media all over this guy? Where is Mac Moore? Yeah. Where is Saturday Night Live and their skits? Yeah, yeah. Where is Skye jumping down his throat? Yeah. All stuff I had to deal with when I screwed up. Exactly. See? It's like the old saying goes, Mikey. I'm sure you can follow along with this. Tell me. If a vice president shoots somebody in the face and no one sees it, did it really happen? That is not a saying. That is a saying. That is a famous saying. That is a very famous saying. Think about it. No. I don't know if you've heard about this. It's been in the news. I don't know if you read the paper over there, Boston Rob. I do. Well, he watches the teasers. I know you go potty on it, but I don't know if you read it. That is true. But Obama has appointed me to a special position. He said I could be president of siestas. So every day around 2 in the afternoon, I'm in charge of taking a nap. That's very auspicious. It rocks your world. President Screech.
Thank you. You're the man. Ladies and gentlemen. Prez Diddy. Eat that, buddy. Hey. Prez Diddy. Fly away. Fly, fly. Okay. Catch you on the rebound. Okay. Earlobes. Leave his lobes alone. Thank you, President. All right, I'm done. There he is. That's the President. Check out my next set at 2 o'clock. Thank you. Okay. Yeah, I'm BC Clint. Yeah. That's the President of the United States. Not really. That's President George W. Wow. Remember when they used to do Beer Ninja? That was funny. Hey, I know you're done. Whoa, am I done? Am I getting the hook? Yes. It's Mikey on the rock. I-O-Z-F-N San Diego. Hit it. Hit it. Yeah, dog. That was a little French. Yeah. In the mouth region. Whoa. Very well done, Sanjaya. Thank you. That was Sanjaya. Thank you. That was a good job. All right. So what else? What did I leave out? What are the big stories? Oh, listen to this before we get to the big stories. From Ashley's yesterday email. How much food did she eat? Oh, boy. Uh-oh. Went and visited Cereo. What? He dislocated his elbow. I thought he was living in like the Antarctic or something. That's what I thought. Didn't he move away? I thought he had moved to the Antarctic. He was, Rob. That's totally accurate. We watched Anchorman. Oh, that's a good one. That movie never gets old. I'm uncomfortable. Well, all I know...
Skye! Skye! I said I'm uncomfortable. Rob said I'm uncomfortable. Skye said I'm loco, by the way. Wow, Skye. I'm going crazy over here. Extra credit. I'm going crazy over here. I'm going crazy over here. I'm going crazy over here. I'm going crazy over here. I'm going crazy over here. I quit. Well, maybe Ashley would like to explain. Why she was watching a movie with her ex-boyfriend, Serio. Grow up. Grow up, you guys. Oh, no. Oh, this is so weird. What? I'm going to cry. It's in the yesterday email. It means we can talk. Tell them to grow up. Like, we're adults. Like, we can't have friends. Right? Hello. Of course we can. Wait, what? Wait. Whoopi! What did you just say? What is Whoopi talking about? I don't know. I didn't hear it. I didn't hear it. Friend that keeps using you over and over again. Oh, my gosh. Whoopee. Oh, man. She's got rocks of steel. Ashley, we're homies right here. Come on. Come on. Let's talk here. Let's get this done. You can tell us. What's going on here? You're meeting with the ex-boyfriend. What's the deal? What's up with that? What's up? That we're friends. Okay. Come on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's going on? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you falling in love? Oh, my gosh. Have you guys saw me? I'm just asking.
I'm just asking, are you guys romantic again? Are you getting back together? I'll repeat it. Wait a minute. We're friends. I don't know what else to say. Why is everybody uncomfortable? She wrote it in here. It's just that I haven't heard her mention that. We weren't even supposed to say the name. She's comfortable talking about it. She wouldn't have put it here if she was uncomfortable. So we're hanging out, you and Cereal, chilling out, watching movies? Yeah. We watched Anchorman. Okay, okay. You don't want to talk about it? You put it in the essay. What more do I need to say? Well, why is that the white elephant in the room? We were under orders not to mention Serio. Like, I wasn't even allowed to mention him on the air anymore. And you got mad one time. I messed up and you got mad. Now we're allowed to, which is cool. A lot of rain. Going to be hitting San Diego. Rob, Rob, your specific thoughts. Go. I can explain that. I can explain that. Please. The nurse. Well, back when I was dating, well, we remember my last ex, Mark. When I was dating Mark, you know. Ron, you're making it more uncomfortable. You're clearly making it worse.
Back when I was dating Mark and we would bring up Serio on the air, it would make him uncomfortable because he knew that Serio was my ex. And even though Serio and I were friends when Mark and I started dating, it made him nervous and uncomfortable, which I completely understood and respected. So not only did I stop being friends with Serio, but I also said to you guys, you know, let's not bring it up on the air because I didn't want Mark to think there was anything going on. Out of respect. Obviously, like we've broken up. And so Serio and I are friends again. You know, he's, it'll be almost four years now that we've been friends. And, like, it's just, it's nothing more than that. But he's just my friend. And, like, we hang out every once in a while. Well, you have to, you have to know that if we hadn't heard his name even mentioned for years, all of a sudden he's, like, you know, fair game. We can talk. Shocking. Shocking news. Sure, I understand you're. Like jumping in an ice bath. You know what I mean? I understand you're shock and awe. Yeah. And that's, you know, that's fine. There's some shock and awe going on here. Yeah. Uh-huh. So you guys are hanging out again, and it's all good. You guys are just buddies. Can we make cereal jokes again? Yeah, can we make cereal jokes? Because remember, we used to say, like, you know, we were eating our breakfast cereal. Uh-huh. And then sometimes I'd say, oh, my goodness, somebody broke into my car and stole my cereal. Yeah. You know. Those were good times, you know. What did I just say? It's all good. So it's cool, then. But yeah, well, but yeah, I mean, I don't even know that we hang out very often, but we do hang out, and he's definitely a friend of mine.
Well, this went well. No, did it? I don't know. Yeah. But that's, I mean, that's all. No, Rob's cool. Did you know that mosquitoes can fly up to 4.5 miles per hour? Weird. Interesting. How dare you? I'm just reading. Catching up on some reading. I want nothing to do with anything. Why did everybody get uncomfortable? I mean, this was a cool story. Like, she's hanging out with cereal. Let's talk. You know why we got uncomfortable. Exqueeze. Exqueeze. Exqueeze. Exqueeze. Exqueeze. Excuse me. I would only be uncomfortable if I brought it up and it hadn't been, you know, public knowledge. That would be very uncomfortable and I'd be in trouble. It wasn't public knowledge to me. I didn't know about it. But once I told you that she's making it public knowledge, did it make you guys feel better?
No. Me either. Me either. Because I still felt like I was, you know, about to get, you know. Well, if. I'm afraid she won't hurt you. Yes, she will. Yes, she will. I am not. I mean, it's not. I'm cool. Why are you so. I enjoy my life. We're going to need a bigger boat. She'll explain to you why you don't need to be nervous discussing this. Go ahead, Ash. Because we're just friends. That's right. No sex alive. They're just friends. They're just friends. There's nothing to freak out. And we can't confirm or deny that. Yeah. You know what I mean? She doesn't see him that way. And I really see. And I really don't. What did she do?
Is it a legitimate question? She don't have to work here. That's her problem. What's she yapping about over there? She's going home on Friday. You can say it to my face. Oh, no. Don't be confrontational. She asked, does he respect you now? That's a great question. That is a legitimate question. It totally is. He actually does. He's grown up a lot. He just turned 30. He's ancient. That's right. When I first met him, he was so immature, definitely, and he definitely has grown up a lot. But so have I, and I definitely know now that he is better off being a friend than, I mean, I just don't feel that way for him anymore. You guys have come a long way. It's like you graduated to, you know, Mira Cum La De or whatever. Totally. Whatever it's called. You guys have graduated. I like it. Something else we can talk about? It's really not that big a deal. I don't know why it's such a big deal. I'm not freaking out. I knew it was open for discussion, right? Sure. Rob swallowed his own tongue. Is he okay, by the way? Huh? Can you please keep your comments to yourself?
She says... If you think... No, Skye. Whoopie. Whoopie. What did Whoopie say? Whoopie. All right. If you think that I'm going to repeat that you said he always seems to show up. No. Mike. I love Domino's. So good. Have you had those sinister? Oh, they're delicious. That's not accepted. Yes. Thank you, Dwight. Have you guys seen on MikeyShow.com the pictures of me getting chamois? Yeah. They're great. They are great. Is there video, too? Theater 3000. It's so good. Whoopie. Whoopie. Whoopie. Just... Then tell her off the air on your own time. So we don't have to be uncomfortable. I don't want to be involved in this. I want nothing to do with it. You can tell Ruby's been listening to this show for a long time. She's like, he better not hurt you. My goodness gracious.
That was a good segment. How about them Cubs? Yeah, octuplets. Now, I will say this. How dare you mention Serio and then say you watched Anchorman, best movie ever, never gets old. How am I supposed to focus on it? That's the story. Anchorman never gets old. I love that movie. I realized that yesterday. It's a really good movie. It's so funny. You guys, really good movie. It's so funny. It's a good one. And she's watching The Thing this weekend. Oh, so good. That's right. With Loco. I'm sorry? She's watching The Thing this weekend with The Loco. With The Loco. Yeah. The Loco. No, no, no. Her friend, The Loco. That's a person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She got a friend named The Loco. The Loco is a man? The Loco is a human being. And now is this another friend? It's a friend. It's a friend. It's a different kind of friend. She wants to know if she's allowed to speak on that. Sure. All the single ladies. Somebody's a single lady. What do you want from her? Ashley's a single lady. What do you want from her? She's not breaking any laws. Everybody has to get all serious when we talk. You grow up. Grow up already. Where is your wiener? Eddie, that's something you said.
I'm trying to find it. I can't find it in all these photos. I think it fits in this situation too much. Okay. There you go. That's funny. Woobie, I'm begging you. What is Woobie just saying? Nothing. She was just saying nothing. She says nothing. Mike, get control. I have no problems answering a question from Woobie. Iceberg right ahead. Will you come closer to the microphone with me? No, Mike, don't. I want to know what you're saying. This is our line. I didn't even hear it. I didn't even hear it. I didn't even hear it. Girl. She's got a friend. She's got a friend. No sex allowed. I'm saying this because we love her. Yeah, yeah. We all love her. Yeah, we love her. A true P1. We love her. Now, don't say anything to upset her. No, we're not saying anything to upset her. We care deeply for her. That's right. And if you have a history with this show, like we do, we are aware of some of the... Hang on. Pause. I have to describe this.
Sky looks like she is with a professional pyrotechnic. But she doesn't quite trust the pyrotechnic. So she's not sure that, like, it's going to explode and the fireworks are going to go. Well, this expert has had trouble in the past. Yeah, this particular pyro expert has lit off dynamite with fireworks before. This expert has had no problems in the past. Oh, girl. I know you didn't. Because the last time I came in here with a stick of dynamite, it was rightfully deserved because he had no business being elected to the Hall of Fame. But that's a whole other stick of dynamite. That was my only stick of dynamite. This one, I'm just saying, given the history around this particular person in her past, and some of the things that he has done, a person can't change, I'm just saying, I'm just saying. What did he do? It would be beneficial that she tread on this lightly. I would feel more comfortable if there was a third party there with them so that they're not alone. Like a chaperone? I'm sorry. Rob, you're the new chaperone. I just have some concerns that...
He randomly seems to pop up when there's a lull in his life to see what's going on. How do we know there's a lull? We don't know there's a lull. We don't know there's a lull. Every time. Every time. Seriously. Every time. Every time she's doing well and she's up and all of a sudden. There'll be a serious sighting on the blog or an email or randomly pops up. I respectfully disagree with that. Okay. I think it's the opposite. I think it's suspect. I am ready to rumble. I think there might not have been good closure there. I think that, you know, I'm not saying you can't change. This is very personal for me. I'm not saying you can't be friends with him. Can you read the news? Out of concern. I wouldn't be a good sister girl. I'm here with you, girl. I'm here with you. I'm just not trusting him 100%. I think what Whoopi is trying to say is, you know, what if they're... He's not good for you. You shouldn't be involved with him. He is just... Wait a second. Wait a second.
I'm sorry. That just came out. She's just going from from the left. But Ashley said, you know, he's grown up and all that stuff. He can grow. Men can change because we girls is Latin for screw up. So we all girls, we all know. Let me tell you, let me tell you, I think I understand what we'll be saying. Now, it doesn't matter if it's this guy or this guy. It doesn't go. It doesn't matter. I'll tell you, I think what Ruby's trying to say is, you know, maybe she's in a vulnerable place right now. Maybe she's in a vulnerable place. Sister girl needs to be cool. Thank you. You know, we can all admit she's in a slight lull right now in her romantic and male counterpart. And she's looking for a friend, a male friend to hang out with. A companion. I'm just saying. Did we already establish? Here we go. She's a single lady. She's a single lady. Come on, Eddie. Single lady. Yeah, that's right. You get it. You get it. There ain't nothing wrong with that. We're going to make a video, me and Eddie, for that. And if he was all into that, he could have put a ring on it. He had his chance. Oh, girl. Look it, Barack Obama wants to ask Ashley a question. Sure, you can have my number, babe. What's up? I'm just saying I just want her to be cautious. What about the loco? How do you feel about the loco? I would just like Ashley to be cautious.
And think more with her head than with her heart, which might be a little empty or a little lonely. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. When? This is the weirdest thing I've ever gone through. She has not had testimony. I'm enjoying this radio. This is great. Tell us about your life. She's been single for a little while. And when you're single for a little, girls, let's be honest, sometimes when you're single for a little while. Please. Defend myself. Sammy's a little different. She loves Sammy. Sammy loves her unconditionally. So what happens when we go out to a party with some sisters, huh? What happens? And abuse her. That's what happens. That's all I'm saying. Hey, listen, Ash. Defend myself. When you go out to a party with Whoopi, all right? So what happens when we go out to a party with some sisters, huh? That's what happens. That's Barack Obama saying that right there. Thank you. Should we get the local on the phone? I'm just saying. Let's just be careful. Let's just be careful. She's looking at you right now. You are a queen and you shouldn't be treated like anything less. That's right. That's all I'm saying. You know what else? My own damn friend. That's right. And this person has a history of not treating you in the manner in which you deserve to be treated. Can I please defend myself? Yes, Ashley, please. Okay, just so we know. Okay, can I talk now, Libby? I can't hear you. Yes.
How did you not have a response? Sorry, I turned my head all the way down. They're white folks, and then they're like you. Oh, gosh, I'll say it again. There is nothing between me and Serio. They're just friends. I genuinely mean that, and I haven't had that feeling for Serio in over three years. We are genuinely just friends, and I don't look at him like that anymore. Do you understand, though, there may be some concern, though? Definitely. She's vulnerable. Now, can I address the fact that you... all think I'm lonely and sad. Nobody said that. Nobody said that. No one said that. No one thinks that. No one said sad. There's this guy, okay? Listen, you fools. You freak. Every single one of you. There's this guy. His name is Ryan Loco. You didn't know what to say his first name. That's his given name? And him and I have been hanging out and he is fantastic. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. So is he your boyfriend? No, not at all. No, because I'm not looking for a boyfriend and he knows that, but I just want to, I mean, him and I enjoy each other's company. We've got really great chemistry. Like we have a good time together and that's all I can really give right now. So we're good and we hang out and it's awesome.
And that's fantastic. And that's the deal. That makes me very happy. How about you? It keeps me very happy. My only concern with the other individual was that he would be disrespectful. We've had a history. We've had that history. Yeah, we don't need that. If you are absolutely content and fine with this new phase in your friendship, you know, with that. We've all grown up. We've moved on. And everyone's fine. We just do not want any more damage or disrespect to you. We cool. We cool. No, we're good. We're good. He and I are just friends. It's all gravy. Mike, we're good. Hit it. I enjoyed this. Listen, you got to hear a true P1. It was healing. A true P1 getting to be a part of the show. That was exhausting. And she's loving Ashley. We all do. And nobody thinks that Ash is sad.
Well, I mean, Eddie says that all the time. He does. Who says that? Well, you call her sad. Well, I don't know. You're putting words in Woody's mouth. That's right. No, you're the one who says it. Oh. But it's not true. Okay. We got to get out of here. I didn't know about the loco. 570. 570-1053. We have to go. We have to go. Hey, by the way, Rick is in for Missy today. Rick Lawrence is in for Missy today. Check out Mikey Science Theater 3000 at MikeyShow.com. You're welcome. Dude, it's really fun. It's very fun. And Ashley's mom's soundboard is also at MikeyShow.com so you can sit there and you can just play all those. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. No, that's not a clip, Eddie. That is not a clip, Eddie. One of the... You're done. You're done. You're finished. Really? You're dead. Really? Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh, Sarah. 570-1053. Oh, man. Beginning and end of every show. Well, then. We will take open phones. I'm telling you, the last 10 minutes of radio was good. What just happened? It was good stuff. Everybody was getting a share. We need a Whoopi segment, a Whoopi advice segment. I know it. Whoopi tells you straight from the heart.
P1AO is on the line. No, no, no. Not today. We're not doing this, Eddie. Not today. What's up, AO? Hey, man, you know I'm out here trying to stay warm like the Cinnabon. You dig? Really? You dig? Nice. Anywho, I got a couple of things I need to hit before y'all take off and go into the weekend. I'm out here trying to catch a cold, Mike. You dig? Stop it. Now you go. Now you go. Anywho, I need a weekly conversation with Wubbie right there because she was going off and cheating on Ashley. Right? I didn't deserve that. No, it was all good stuff. She loves you. It wasn't bad stuff. She loves you. Oh, no. That is your sister girl. Yeah, that's right. That is your sister girl. So what happens when we go out to a party with some sisters, huh? Yeah. What happens? You tell me, Barack. Yeah, that's right. That's what he's saying. Sure you can have my number, baby. Thank you, President Obama. Sky is drooling. That's right. I just had a sip of water, okay? What the hell is going on right now? I actually am drooling. You don't hear me arguing? That's the sexiest thing I've heard all day. Put it on loop. Can I have your number? I'm sure you can have my number, baby.
Anyway. Bless it, bless it. Okay, look, I know the economy is getting horrible. One of my, like, real, real street, like, grimy, hardcore-like dudes, one of my partners, right? Uh-huh. This guy right here, I call him up. I'm like, hey, man, what's going on? What you up to? He was like, nothing. I'm chilling, watching stories. I'm like, you a 29-year-old grown man who's still running the streets back in the pool watching stories? He watches that show. I think it's called Las Vegas or something like that. Yeah, I call him, and I'm talking to him. I'm like, yo, can you pay attention to our conversation? I'm trying to see what we're doing this week. And he's like, man, you just made me erase it off the DVR. I got to go. Quick, hung up in my face. Wow. Wow, Ayo. There it is. I'm a little perturbed about that. Eddie, how should I handle this? Let me have Whoopi answer that question for you. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah. Whoopi, whoopi, what's some advice? Nah, nah, nah, nah. You got to let him think about it over the weekend, Ayo, and then he'll get back to you on Monday. I certainly will. I promise. Thank you, Ayo. P1 Pops is on the line. Pops. What's up, dude? Now that it's me again, just wanted to say, what can we do to get Shawnee O'Boy and Zethi Notes back on? Trust me. We're working. We're working. Yeah, we're trying.
Listen, if it was a matter of, okay, I understand you want him back, fine, we'll hire him. I mean, if it was that, I'd do it today. I want both of them back. At least the ones that write me back. I don't care, man. You can't break up the band. That's what I'm saying. Love you guys. Thank you. Struggling with the Jesus thing, but I'm down. All right, brother. All right, love you, Mikey. Thank you, dude. Can I say something? Yes, yes, please, please. Can I put this out there? No. If we... Eddie and Sky are shaking their heads. This is really important. Eddie and Sky are shaking their... This is, like, important. This is, like, this is about my personal life. Seriously. Wait, wait, wait. I need the appropriate music. I need... No, you don't. I do. Why are you making this so dramatic? The appropriate music. Yes. Oh, gosh. Please. Okay, if we keep, we can't keep, we can't bring up Loco like all the time on the air because it's going to ruin the relationship. We don't. From here on out, I'm saying. But we don't. I'm saying from here on out, Eddie and Skye. Eddie and Skye, they never bring him up. They just brought him up back to back. Ashley. Eddie, Eddie. No, no, Eddie, don't do it. Just say, just say, just say, I respect that, Ashley. I respect that. Just, I respect that.
Philly's Finest really wants to promote his thing this week. Oh, good. Perfect timing. Philly's Finest? What's up, Mikey? Aren't you going to do your thing? Yeah. I used to have a show that goes on on Thursday nights. No, where's your PHI to the LLY? Well, Scooby... Did you move to Cleveland over the week? Well, Scooby's over there copying it, so I'm starting to think that it's getting a little dry now. Is everybody going to fight today? Is that it? I mean, do I have to, like, do I have to mend bridges with everybody today? Whoopi, do something here, please. This is a Friday, and we're going to end it in love. Thank you. Everything that was said this last 20 minutes. Was said in love. Thank you. There is nothing but love in this room. Sometimes it's a little tougher than most. Sometimes you get it with a paddle. Sometimes you get it with a soft, crescent hand. There is nothing but love. Thank you. And we're going to end this with love. That's right. So there's no more hating. I want to say something. No, you do not. No. You will not say something. I want to hear what he has to say. No, we are going to. You will not. No, we don't.
We are going to respect her wishes. We are all going to acknowledge that she has put boundaries in place for her personal life. And we are going to respect that. And only if we see that she is being hurt will we step in as friends who love her. Will we cross that boundary? And we have to go on with that. You're very calming. She's going to be a radio talk show host at night here. We're going to end it with love. End it with love. That's right. End it with love. It's called Waterfalls with Whoopi. Welcome to Waterfalls with Whoopi. Don't go chasing waterfalls. That's right. It's really pretty, Eddie. You shut up. Hey, Philly's Finest. Well, in the spirit of love and brotherhood and togetherness, P-H-I to the L-L-Y in the hizziness. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, there it is. So I had a radio show on Thursday, but I'm getting moved to Friday night, and I'm starting to freak out about it because it's pretty much like the big boy shift. Oh, look at you. Where can people hear you? I have it all set up on Facebook as an event, but for those of you that don't have Facebook, if you have Cox Cable Communications, check me out on channel 956, Time Warner, channel 957, 8 to 10 p.m. tonight. Might go till 10.30. Who knows? By the way...
Philly's Finest wrote an article about Ashley that appeared in the San Diego Union Tribune. Yes, I did. What? Real good. How about that? So good. He did real good. We got to put the link on MikeyShow.com so that people can check it out. It's already on P1 site. Very cool. And I can check today. Desu, I think, commented on it. Who? I think Ashley's mom commented on it. No way. I think so. I saw the last name. On P1's site, there's no way. There's no way. Not on P1's site, but there's a way you can comment on articles in the UT, that section. And I think Ashley's mom commented on that. I saw a first name. I don't know if this is Ashley's mother's first name. I'm not going to say it on the air. That's cool. That's cool. All right, Philly's Finest, we got to go. All right. Thank you, man. Hey, listen, I have to be honest. It's days like these. That I actually really do appreciate every single one of these relationships because the one thing that I do know is that we really are all friends. What about Rob? Yeah, what's Rob up to? What is he doing? He took a nap about 20 minutes ago. I want nothing to do with what's been going on. Well, yeah, I think you've been great. I'm watching TV. I think you've been great. Oh, don't you know by saying that you make yourself? No, no, no, man, I'm safe.
I've said nothing today. Back to watching Squirrels. What's the matter with him? He's acting a fool. We'll have Whoopi talk to him. Yeah. I feel bad now. Oh, Ashley. Oh, no. I'm right about to. You give my testimony. Please, because. She needs to. Bad now. No, don't. Don't. Don't. I do. Well, you shouldn't. Let me tell you. Oh, no. Oh, my God. We are so dysfunctional. I don't want to leave on that. Do you believe that we're dysfunctional? Yes, Mike. A bad note with Eddie. I feel bad. You're going to talk to him. As soon as the show's over, you're going to yell at him. But I don't matter. Only Eddie. We're bad, too? Listen to this. No. Listen to me. Listen to me. We are three minutes late meeting our new boss right now. And she's listening right now like, wow, these guys are crazy. These guys are crazy.
We're good, Ashley. It's fine. Yeah, everything's fine. Everything's fine. We'll talk about it after. Oh, we will. Look at her face. I don't know. Look at the face she's making right now. I would have drank after a date. I'm planning on it. Come with me. That's the truth. No, the truth is that we can deal with stuff when it happens now. After the show, we'll all get together. Have some gin and tonics. We'll all talk about it and figure it out. That's what we always do. Truth is, I would have drank about it. So I'm glad that things are different now. Jesus Christ changed my entire life. Sometimes stuff happens, you know? And when stuff happens, you deal with it. You don't ask why this. You ask what next. So we'll figure it out. Now, if you are going through any kind of thing in your life where you're addicted to something or you are...
going through a period of your life where you are struggling with an eating disorder, depression, or any of that stuff, go to my website, mikeyshow.com. Type in the keyword help. It'll take you to a section that will give you a lot of information and help you out. But the message that I give you on Fridays is that my life was transformed. My life was transformed through Christ. I play a song about at the end of the show. If you listen to the words, the song is all about hope. My hope was in God. Just listen to it and I hope you get something out of it. A band called Third Day. The name of the album is Wherever You Are. And now we will meet. Rick Lawrence is up next in for Missy. And on Monday morning, we'll tell you all about what happened after the show. Oh, we get to do the after show now.
