The show opened with Mikey, Eddie, Sky and Ashley discussing the host’s shaving habits before launching into the Mikey Science Theater 3000 segment, where they mocked a 1950s educational film. Eddie then detailed the stimulus package, arguing that government spending is necessary to jump‑start the economy, while the hosts debated Alex Rodriguez’s steroid admission and the Chris Brown–Rihanna assault. Other memorable moments included a live interview with an Encinitas tree activist, a lawsuit warning against Father Joe Carroll, an explanation of Twitter, and the playful P1 Password game.

Call us right now at 570-1053. We would love to hear from you. That's our phone number. And at the beginning of the show and at the end of the show, we do an open phone segment so you can call about anything you want. There's five people on The Mikey Show. Myself, I'm the host of the show, 38 years of age, and usually go about three days before shaving the head because I start to get a little, you know, a little fuzz up there. Eddie shaves every how often, Eddie? I hate to shave. Yeah. And so I put it off as long as possible. Yeah. And I'm trying a new technique where I only shave on Sundays. Are you serious? What? Are you serious? Wow. Not working out. You only shave on Sundays. What? I've only been trying it for two weeks and it doesn't. I mean, by Saturday, I'm like got the itch going. You're like Bear Grylls. Yeah. I mean, it looks terrible. So I probably have to switch it up. And plus.
Saturday is Valentine's Day, and I have to shave for Valentine's Day because I've got big plans for the wife and all that stuff. Yeah. Wow. Skye, how often do you shave your legs? Oh, no. So early. I don't want to know. It's so early. I don't want to know. I still want you to respect me. It's like she's got leg numbers on. Well, it is cold out. Oh, man. It's like an extra layer. What year is it? This is so bad. Eddie is our sports guy. He is our producer. He is 35 years of age. Sky is our news girl. Ashley is our assistant producer. And Boston Rob is our... Yeah. He's that guy. Thank you. He's that guy. 570-1053 is the phone number if you want to call us. And P1 Scooby is on the line. What's up, Scoob? Yo, what's happening, fellas? What's going on? I want to talk about...
Mikey Science Theater 3000. Yeah. Okay. MikeyShow.com. Go to MikeyShow.com, and if you like the show Mystery Science Theater 3000, you will love this. I'm getting so many emails about it. Dude. Dude, that was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in a long time. We got to do another one. Oh, yeah. We got to do another one really soon. What it is is, you know, those old 1950s. Little film reels that they would do. Educational films. Yeah, where they'd say, you know, this is how to be, you know, this is how to have manners. Yeah. You know, as done in the, it's all black and white. Hygiene is important. Hygiene is important. That kind of thing. And if you go to our website, MikeyShow.com, where, by the way, we podcast our entire show. What? You can see the entire, you can listen to the entire show at MikeyShow.com. But, yeah, you just click on that, and you get to watch the little film, and then there's three little silhouettes, me, Eddie, and Rob. You see the little silhouettes, and we just goof on the movie. It's pretty easy. It was hilarious. I love the fact that Sky was in the background, and you guys were trying to get her on. If you listen closely, you can hear her. That's right. Great. I thought I was watching her on the...
I know it. Oh, yeah. She's actually in the movie. That's right. Featured in the movie. And if you want to know what we mean, go check it out. MikeyShow.com. It's fantastic. P1 Scuba. What's up? How much? I want to know what would be a good place to take my wife out to for Valentine's Day. I have an 18-month-old son, and I've tried to take care of him as well as her on Valentine's Day. You know what, dude? I am so glad you called because we are going to be doing just that for you. We have, not for you right now, I'm going to tell you what you can do. You can participate for a chance to win. And what it is, is we are going to be giving away two dinner for twos to my favorite restaurant, not in San Diego, but in the world.
My favorite restaurant is Pamplemousse Grill in Del Mar. Truffle. Oh. They take regular stuff and they make it extreme. Like they take a hamburger and when they're done with the hamburger, it can compete in the extreme Olympics. The X Games. The X Games. So true. Dude, they take French fries. And they just make them so that they're so good they can compete in the X Games. And so we have two pair, and they are dinner for two. Wow. On, I believe, Friday night or Valentine's night. I have to ask him for sure, because they already made the reservation. I'm trying to remember if it was Saturday night or Friday night. I believe it's Saturday. I'll find out for sure, though. And we're going to be having a contest. for somebody to win those. Eddie, should we say now or do you want to wait? We probably should wait just because we've got to make sure that we can do all the stuff. But we have some really, really cool ideas. Yeah, we'll hook you up. It's going to be really cool. So you can enter this contest that we're going to do to give these two things away. All right, man. Nice. That is a great place. Yeah. The two biggest things that I think people are talking about today are
Obama. Obama. And Alex Rodriguez. Those two things, I think, are probably the biggest things. Obama and Alex Rodriguez. And you guys, where should we begin? I know it. So much. Let's start with Obama. Did you guys watch or no? No. Sky? Not really. What? Well, I forgot. I was thinking, oh, primetime. It's going to be on at 8, but it was on at 5. And so I watched like an hour and a half of CNN where they were like playing back the clips and analyzing it. But I didn't get to watch the speech in its entirety. You hate Obama. I was really mad at myself yesterday. Why do you hate Obama so much? I was so mad at myself yesterday. My goodness. The doozy. Well, I watched it. Was he really handsome? Yeah, he was really, really handsome. Yeah, very, very dapper. You can stop thinking that. You can have my number, baby. Hey, what's up? Thank you, President Obama. It was really nice of you to say that. By your own damn phrase. Well, I will. That's his big package. Okay. Oh, hey. Hello. Good morning, everybody.
So I had a couple of thoughts on this thing here. Are you going to be nice? I'm just asking. No, you're conservative Republicans. I'm just asking. Anna, listen, I'm going to be fair knowing that you're a liberal Democrat. I'm going to be fair here. I think we all want things to get better and change and whatnot. Now, here's the thing. I don't know. I don't know how news conferences have gone in the past, and I'll have to admit that, you know, straight up. I seem to remember President Bush looking out in the audience of people sitting there and calling on people as they raised their hands. It's what I thought I remembered, but maybe I'm wrong. Last night they did not do it that way. They screened every question, and Obama had a list of people to go to. And so he would go to them and they would ask him pretty tough questions. What's your reaction to Alex Rodriguez's admission that he used steroids as a member of the Texas Rangers? What the heck?
Out of an hour worth of content, you're going to launch off with Matt Clinton. An hour worth of economy. Hang on. So that's what I voted him in office to answer. Mr. President. The one puff question given all night. What do you think of the new fourth judge on American Idol? Really? Really? Would you like to hear what he did say about Alexander? Of course. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And thank you for this tough question. I'm stumped. Yes. I don't even know how to answer that. Wow. I think it's depressing news on top of what's been a flurry of depressing items when it comes to Major League Baseball. And if you're a fan of Major League Baseball, I think it tarnishes an entire era to some degree. And it's unfortunate because I think there are a lot of ballplayers who played it straight. And the thing I'm probably most concerned about is the message that it sends to our kids. What I'm pleased about is Major League Baseball seems to finally be taking this seriously to recognize how big of a problem this is for the sport. Mr. President, what about Chris Brown and Rihanna? Michael Phelps, talk about it. Yes, please.
All right, well, he did talk about the stimulus package and what he suggests for Americans. My own damn friend. No, Mike. No, he tells Americans what he's going to lay out here. It is absolutely true that we can't depend on government alone to create jobs or economic growth. That is and must be the role of the private sector. But at this particular moment, with the private sector so weakened by this recession, the federal government is the only entity left with the resources to jolt our economy back into life. It is only government that can break the vicious cycle where lost jobs lead to people spending less money, which leads to even more loans. And breaking that cycle is exactly what the plan that's moving through Congress is designed to do. See, here's the worst part for me as a conservative is it might be true. It might be true. You know, it may be that we have to have $800 billion spent to get this sucker going. The problem is, is that we'll never really know. See, the economy is going to recover.
It always does. It always, even during the depression, it recovers. So it's going to recover. But that recovered because of government after the depression. Let's say this. Let's say this. Let's say we didn't do anything and we just continued to status quo and the economy recovers. Or let's say we do this and the economy recovers. We'll never be able to look back and say, well, if you didn't. You never know the unknown. But you know what? I'm down. He's our president, man. He's our president. And he says that this is what he's going to do. And he's our president. So let's do it. You know, we all want to be happy and we all want the economy to work. So I'm down. And when you agree that something like, you know, you might be nervous for what is to come or what he's saying about that spending and, you know, the stimulus plan. Yeah. But what we have been doing or the status quo has not been working. And it seems like it's not. you know, carrying at the same rate, but if anything, it's kind of spiraling out of control. You know what I think you should have done? Gone up there and been like, we're good. Everybody go back out there and start spending money again. Everything's fine. Everything is cool.
Everyone's fine. Like the Titanic. Yeah, Eddie, you said everything is fine. The people at the end of the Titanic. And they were. No, they were. Their faces were blue. They died. Their faces were blue. A lot of them were. They were a little chilly, but they were fine. They were more than chilly. In all honesty, if President Obama says, everything's cool, everybody go out and spend money again. I guarantee you the economy would turn around like that. No way, dude. I guarantee it. All those people who've lost their jobs and their homes are being foreclosed would scream and punch something. Things would change real quick. There's a lot of people that can't go on. Yeah, I don't think so. Well, they're going to write you a check so you can. Yes! Yeah! For how much? I don't know. Make it a lot. Is it wrong to ask how much your check was last time? Is it bad? Is that bad form to ask or is that too private? Such bad form. Rob is very concerned with poor form. He has like a prep school to teach people manners and what they should be saying. Thank you. Eddie gets it.
I don't understand how giving Boston Rob $400, $500 is going to help the economy. Oh, dude, it will. It'll help you. My electricity is going to stay on for like two more months. And who knows, maybe get something Red Sox ticket. You know what? Is it like this, Sky? Is it like this? Like they say, right now, Boston Rob can't use resources like even power, you know, power and energy in this country. They're suffering. And so if he has some extra skrill, he will say, you know what? Now I don't have to be as cold at night. I'm going to run my heater. I'm going to pay a little extra. And I can. And it pumps money into the power company. Because the power companies probably, right now, profits are down a little bit. People are conserving. That's our problem. Definitely conserving. That's our problem. Our problem as an economy is that we're all conserving. We're all, you know, we don't have we're all freaked out. We're all conserving. So the government is trying to get us to go, OK, here's some dough. Go spend it. Yeah. I mean, basically, I haven't heard them talking specifically about the power companies, but they're talking about more like the mom and pop businesses, like, you know, the pizza place on the corner that people aren't getting takeout as much as they used to. So they hope if they could be Rob 500 bucks, maybe one night he will order himself a pizza.
That'll help the pizza place, and they don't have to fire their employees. It's just this whole trickle-down effect that's happening. Yeah, I have a feeling it's everything and all. Anything we spend money on, anything we spend money on, we're not spending as much money on it now. It doesn't matter what it is. We're just not spending it, and they want us to. But, I don't know, man. Is it enough? Is it enough, though? I mean, especially when you've got so many people that are just irresponsible. But then, hey, I got to. I got to stand behind what I said. If I say they're irresponsible and they go out and they spend their money on cigarettes, well, they're contributing to the economy. And keep in mind, this is just a small part of the plan. The main part of the stimulus plan is to create jobs, about four million jobs, I believe. And so that's where people really will actually start making money and making a living for themselves and getting back to work and getting off unemployment and stuff like that. That's the big plan. That's why Hoover Dam was built. Exactly. Hoover Dam was built. Yeah, it was built because we needed to put people to work and we needed to put them to work for years. Really? They built Hoover Dam.
Wow. Yeah. Let's build another dam. Rob's fascinated by history. Oh, I love it, dude. And I started to watch this thing on the Hoover Dam the other day on the History Channel. Let's build the Death Star. Yeah. That would take a long time. Why do you think you can employ thousands of workers? Millions. Millions. I think that that's a brilliant idea. Absolutely. Could you draw us a blueprint? Yeah, absolutely. I have the plans. What would it be for? It's the ultimate weapon, homeboy. Yeah, hello. Al-Qaeda. Yeah. We'd find Bin Laden like that. Like that. Why has nobody thought of that? No. But would the Death Star blow up all of Earth if we, like, want to try and blow up? We own it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But isn't it so powerful? Isn't it so powerful it would blow up our entire planet if we used it against a single target? But if it fell into the wrong hands, I mean. Well, that couldn't happen. That's impossible, right? We could start a Jedi night school. I like to protect.
A P1 Stingray. Oh, for goodness sake, you. I can't believe we figured that out. P1 Andrew, the freight train? You're welcome. What's up, dude? First of all, I just wanted to say about yesterday, Ashley, you not taking the trash out, that's gross. Yeah, let me. It happened. It was gross. Oh, it doesn't. For a week, she said, right? Oh, more than a week. Oh, more than a week? I think she said like around two weeks. She puts off her garbage for two weeks. I don't read early, but this was a bad one. Fruit flies. Yeah, and it came to the point where I was like putting my trash just like in my sink. Oh, wait a minute. Shut your gutter mouth, lady. I can't. I was trying to help you. Even for me. Oh, my gosh. I'm not going to lie. It's a little crazy. Wow. Can't go on. And what were you going to say, Andrew? I wanted to make mention of the fact that Obama wants to talk about people and spending the stimulus package or spending their money on the stimulus package. But what about the people that actually save their checks and hold on to their checks and not actually invest in the market, you know, once they get their stimulus package? Like me last year when I got the $600 from Bush.
I held on to that money for a long time until I got, like, bills that had piled up. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I think that's the one kind of downfall to the stimulus. And that's why I was talking with one of my buddies the other day, and he did the same thing. He took the $600 and saved it. until, I don't even know, six months, eight months later, and just recently. People do that, but that's why with this one, they were talking about only giving money to people who make like $75,000 or less a year because they think those are the people who need it. And they think that the people who make over that, they're just going to put that money in the bank. So there's no point to give that to them. I disagree. I think it's the opposite. I think people that don't have a lot are going to save that money because they want to conserve money right now. And people that have money. They're like, oh, it's frivolous money. Dude, I get to go spend it. I think they should put a little like a as big as the envelope is. They should put a white piece of paper that's as big as the envelope is. And when you open up your check, you pull your check out and this white piece of paper. And it says very clearly in black and white. This is intended for you to put back into our economy.
Please spend it. Don't save it. Yeah. Or self-destruct 30 days. You know what I mean? Simple as that. Like there's going to be a percentage of people that disregard it. Yeah. But at least they know, hey, this is intended to get our economy. It's found money. Yeah, yeah. And plus, you know, when the times are like this, people are going, oh, you know, this money I need to save. Or some people I know have that mentality. Absolutely. Not me, man. The second I. I'm not even going to touch that money. I'm blown. Oh, man, I'm going to spend it everywhere. I'm going to throw some on the ground. No, you're not. That is a lie. P1 Gerzman or Gerzam. Hey, what's up, guys? What's up, dude? All right, so you were saying we just got to spend money, but that's not going to be good enough. We got to make sure that we spend the money domestically, and we've got to spend it on U.S. made goods. So, like, if you're going to go and... Dude, dude, whoa, whoa. Because of Clinton... There are very few U.S. made goods. Clinton made it so that people can go out of the country and spend cents on the dollar to get things produced. You son of a... Well, because basically... I did. I did. I just want to say I did. Thanks, dude. Sorry. Because you like Asian women. Yeah, it's true, man. Jokes on y'all.
Well, when the stimulus bill was passed in the House, there was a provision in there for all these new projects that they had to use, like U.S.-made steel and other things, like that the products that we're going to use to build with need to be made here in the U.S. And then it got into the Senate, and John McCain was like, no, no way. We need to yank that whole provision out of there because you're going to upset people because of the, you know, North American free trade thing. They didn't get rid of it completely, but they definitely did dilute it a bit. So, you know, they don't have to use 100% American-made goods, but they do have to use, I think, a certain percent. They compromise. Yeah, so that definitely is something that people were thinking about. Okay, we got to hit a little bit on A-Rod. We have to at least mention what's going on with A-Rod. It was everywhere yesterday. Dude, I watched the whole thing. It was like over 30 minutes. For real? Yeah. Now, did you have a heads up? Like, were you seeing coming up A-Rod? Coming up A-Rod. Three o'clock, SportsCenter. I mean, I just know. I mean, that's why I tune in. Yeah. And, you know, yesterday.
You know, they were running the squirrels that they were going to have the interview and all that stuff. And so, you know, as soon as 3 o'clock hit, I was right there. Oh, man. I watched the whole thing. So when it happened and you saw it, what was your reaction? Was your jaw kind of like, whoa, dropped open? Or were you like, this is no big deal? Well, first of all, his appearance to me was so strange. Because he was so tan? No, no. You're gay. Wait a minute. Dominican, I mean. Well, he looked a little. Puerto Rican or whatever. Kind of like orange. He looked orange? Yeah. Like he'd been in a tanning booth? Yeah, or like fake tanning lotion. Something was off. I heard he's a quarter oompa loompa, so that might explain. That's true. It was actually his eyes that freaked me out. Why? His eyes were bloodshot. Oh, really? Which I'm like. Dude, I bet he's just. Dude, beat up over this stuff. But I was like, you know, you're here talking about drugs. And your eyes are bloodshot. Like, it was weird. It's like, sorry, it just came from Michael Phelps' house. Yeah. Eating a churro. Yeah. He's got a bag of Doritos and, like, a Burger King crown hat on. He's like, yeah. Yes. Oh, my gosh.
That's funny. Oh, man. So what do you got? What do you got here, Eddie? We got some audio. Oh, we have a bunch of audio. We got like fans reacting. Oh, yeah. These are New York City fans reacting to what they think. Yeah, we haven't said it, you know, but the bottom line is yesterday, A-Rod admitted that he used steroids. Oh, he did. He admitted it. Wow. They had it, you know, proven he just came out. Hey, but haven't they? kind of had the score on a few guys, and they say, no, that's not the deal, and just wait, and it'll all be explained, and you just hold on, and blah, blah, blah. That's what Mark McGuire says. That's what, you know, Barry Bonds is on trial for perjury for doing just that. I'm telling you, I think that A-Rod will be kind of forgiven because he's come clean. He definitely went about it in the correct fashion. You know, there was no... run around from the get-go. He just came out, and I respect that a lot. Here we go. Athletes should be clean. You know, that's what they should be. They shouldn't be screwing around. Zestfully clean is what I think she was doing. Drugs just to make them better and bigger. Anybody could do that. It takes a lot.
Of training. I couldn't do it. You have to shoot yourself in the butt. I don't know. And I'm not going to. I don't want to do it. You can't shoot the average Joe up with steroids and have them go hit Major League Baseball pitches. Yeah. You can't do it. That's stupid. You can't do it. To make somebody good naturally. So, yeah, I'm not a fan anymore. I feel that, you know, these guys in the sports entertainment world, they constantly keep doing this. And our kids are watching this. And to them, it's like it's being accepted from the underworld. You know, it's being accepted. Underworld? You know, you make mistakes, you know. Likens. What does he mean, the underworld? I don't know. Is he talking about likens? I think so. It could be talking about likens. They're like vampires versus the werewolves. That's right. All blades. It's a dance. The only one who can forgive them is God in itself. That's true. And that's it. I believe that if he were sorry, that he wouldn't have done it in the first place. Oh, come on. Please. That means, okay, now let's, I think that's a great point, ma'am, because if that's true, that means that every mistake that you've made would never have happened. Right. That means the word sorry wouldn't be in our dictionary. Exactly. Thank you, Scott. Yes. I think that's the best way of putting it. That honestly, if you're going to use that to get ahead, that...
You're cheating yourself in the long run and putting all of your records at Jeopardy and putting your own career at Jeopardy. He's a scumbag, pretty much. Wow. If you're going to play sports, why not play with your heart? Are you kidding? For real? No, dude. He wasn't. I specifically looked to see what he was wearing when he said that, and he was wearing a Yankees hat. Wow. Dude, I mean, Yankee fans are... turning against him, which to me... This has happened before with A-Rod, you know, with the Yankee fans and the media kind of turned on him. And I mean, maybe that's a good portion of, you know, the fans that are going, you know, with Roger Clemens, Andy Pettit, or hopefully they did that with them. It used to be that, and this could just be me, but I used to be in a mental place where I thought... A couple of these guys, you know, they did that. And, you know, there's a couple of them that are even high profile. Not anymore. Now I kind of think most of these guys were doing steroids. Yeah. I don't want to. That's the truth. It is. Where are you, Rob? Where are you? Well, I was just reading in the USA Today that, you know, in the tests that they took in 2003, the reason they put it as a mandatory thing with penalties in 2004.
is because over 5% of the people that tested, tested positive. So out of 100... Well, let's think about it. There's about 700 players that are on starting rosters in Major League Baseball. 105 of them tested positive. So I don't know what percentage-wise that is, but what is... That's a pretty high percentage. I guess it's just me in my mind, and until I see it on paper, I would at least want to believe that there's still a good number of ballplayers out there that didn't. Maybe now, but in 2003, I think the majority of people were doing something. I think as a fan, I myself don't want to come to terms with that. I'll tell you where I have the biggest issue. Let's say that I'm a pitcher in Major League Baseball and it's the 1970s and the deal is that in the culture, the way that you have to be competitive is to scuff the ball. And that's the way you have to be competitive. And it's the culture. There's no rule against scuffing the ball. Okay. The problem that is a little bit tougher with this one is that it's illegal in the United States. Right. You know what I mean?
Like it's illegal. It's not them scuffing the ball. It's them doing something that's illegal. That's the trippy part about it. You know, and go hard. Why you got to use drugs? If you're really an athlete, you can play like Kobe Bryant. I mean, an apology is great. Eddie kind of gave the hmm on that one. The hmm. The salary caps and all that stuff now. Baseball would be a lot better off going forward if they just played baseball. All right. That's funny. I think we're a long way from that. Yeah. More's coming out. Listen, Eddie said a few days ago, I actually was saying this to my family the other day because, dude, this was a really good point. Eddie said, what the media does with the Octomom, the mother of eight, you know, well, 14 kids, but just had eight. What the media does is they have a story and they... Squeeze all the lemon juice out of it that they can. And then when they're all done, they cut another lemon open with it and they start squeezing that one. And so they've got a new one. And they found that this mom, this octuplet mom, was doing something pretty questionable. And now there's more questions that are being asked. I always think of a story like this, like an onion.
And you just keep peeling back layers, layers and layers. That's right. And it stinks. That's right. We're going to tell you what it is next. Mickey Show, Stand Up Spotlight, 5-3. Mentos commercial. Monster Energy AMA Supercross and FIM World Championship. This Saturday at 7, Qualcomm Stadium. Frogs Fitness, best part to me, I mean, everybody's got their different things that they love about losing weight. The best part for me is being able to put clothes on that I just couldn't wear before. And for you, it may be something completely different. It may be, I don't know, it may be that you start to feel a little bit better as you're going up the stairs somewhere. That you get up to the top of those stairs, you're not winded anymore. It could be any number of things that you really enjoy about getting in shape. But I go to Frog's Fitness. I go to the one in Encinitas. My trainer is Wendy. And it's a pretty incredible place, Frog's Fitness. The way that the place is laid out, the way that it's designed. Every single thing that you see at Frog's Fitness, you can tell that it's done with thought and purpose in mind. that they actually have a reason for doing it the way that they do it, and I appreciate that, as opposed to some places where maybe it starts out like this and then maybe it morphs into this, and maybe we move something over here because it's more convenient than having it here. At Frogs Fitness, there is purpose, there's design, and you're going to like it. Check them out. You can find them online, frogsfit.com. Well, the ride is still looking pretty good out here. No big major problems slowing you down. You will find the usual brake lights, though, developing out of Escondido right now in the South 15 from the 78 to right around down to Felicita. And then you're pretty much back up to speed. No worries down the coastline. South 5 moving right along. East County is looking up to speed as well. However, way out east here, we have reports of black ice along I-8 between Hacumba and Campo. So be careful out there. We've also got black ice conditions reported along Sunrise Highway in patches. And chains are required at Big Bear and Palomar Mountain. The snow is down to 3,500 feet and chains are required above that. The border wait is still about an hour and 15 minutes at San Isidro. And watch for heavy brake lights just on the 5, both sides of the 5, actually getting to the Coronado Bridge. And the bridge is a heavy ride into Coronado right now. I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Email comes to us from a P1 about Mikey Science Theater 3000 and how much he enjoyed the hilarity of Set Bit, which is brand new. You can find it right now at MikeyShow.com. Gentlemen, that was hilarious and fantastic. Can't wait to see the next one you guys do. You turned a boring 10-minute educational film from the 50s into pure hysterics. I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I hope you don't mind that I'm emailing all three of you at once. It was just such a great group effort, and I want to give everyone the credit that you deserve. Here were a few of my favorite moments. Now, as you listen to this...
You're just going to have to go online to MikeyShow.com and see it for yourself for these things to make sense. But for those of you that have seen it, you'll enjoy. Eddie, I totally thought that kid looked like Jake Gyllenhaal. Even before you commented on it. It was him. Good call on that guy's sweater looking like a matador's jacket. What was up with that? Genius. Mikey, nice comparison to that lead gal looking like China. That was great. I loved it when you said, quote, are we interracially dating? Unquote. That was awesome. That reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when Elaine thought she was dating a black guy and he thought she was Spanish. Rob, I thought it was funny when you said, okay, I'm all summer's eved up. It was too much. You made some great contributions. That chick did look like the mom from that 70s show. Yeah.
And I loved it when you said that all the old-fashioned clothes look like Skye's wardrobe. Mikey Science Theater 3000 is great. The Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys don't have anything on you. Please make more of these. They're terrific. Take care. And God bless. That's Catherine. He won, Catherine. Thank you, Catherine. Appreciate that. You got to check it out. It's at MikeyShow.com. The Octomom. The mother of the octoplets. Rob. That's right. This is your girl. That's right. You're a girl, dude. So you're the only one that supports this lady. I got to. Fighting for the American dream, man. Her name is... This says you're the donor. That's true. Yeah, he had to make $150 back in college. Let's see. So her name is Nadia Solman, 33 years old. She had six kids by In Vitro. Right, Skye? Yep. And then... Decided to have in vitro again, have eight more. And she's not married, lives with her parents. And so what's the latest, Sky? Well, what we found out recently, Rob.
Wow. Can't stick up for a girl these days. Rob's stance was like, let's give her a chance to do this on her own. And we were like, but she's single. She's unemployed. She lives with her parents. She's going to be asking for a handout sooner or later. Skye, I just want her to have the fair chance that everybody else gets changed. Then I think you should know, Rob, that Mrs. Octomom was collecting food stamps before she even had these eight kids. What? Really? So she was on food stamps while she was getting in vitro to add eight more babies to her six babies that are already living on food stamps. I don't understand. Maybe Rob can pull this off. Rob will now be her defense attorney. And now you go, Rob. How do you? Come on. You can do this. You can somehow defend this. I'm going to request for a retrial. Yeah. That's tough. And for me to not be the attorney here. Not easy. You know what? Now that I'm hearing that. I got to say, I have a new stance. Oh, okay. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. Is anybody with me? Anybody with me? I'm with you. That's what we've been saying. I'm with you, buddy. Nice. Jump on my boat, Eddie. Come on. Let's go. Jump on my boat, by the way. I own the boat. Okay.
Wow. So it had already been revealed that she had been on disability for many years because of a riot she was in at a mental hospital she worked at. She said she used the money from that disability to pay for her fertility treatments. How could she be on food stamps then? I can't hear this. I don't understand. For real. Three of her first six children, the first six children she had, three of them. also are on disability for undisclosed reasons. She won't say. It has been reported that one of the children is autistic, but I don't really know how that works. Dude, that requires a lot of special care. A ton of attention. She does say that she does not get welfare and defends herself saying that she does not collect welfare. And she also disclosed the doctor who did all her in vitro treatment. So like Eddie said, here we go. This is getting going. Yeah, there should be, oh man, I guess a law. How about that? There's got to be some kind of rules that if you're getting food stamps, you can't have in vitro fertilization. That should be like a bill presented to Congress. I agree. Well, here she is talking about the father.
Of the children. Does the father of these 14 children, the same father for all 14? Yes. Does he know? Does he have a reaction? Yeah, he didn't know what to say. He needs time. I'm very confused. I guess he's an old friend who is the sperm donor for all of the children. So she knows who it is? She knows who he is, yeah. He's not like an anonymous sperm donor. What? Yeah. But I just don't know if he's aware how many children she planned to have with all that with the sperm. You know what I mean? Whoa. So I think that's kind of a shock to him. I'm in shock. I didn't know. Like for some reason I thought she went to, you know, a place. A sperm bank or something. A sperm bank and said, you know, hey, I want to have a kid and let me look through what you have in terms of men. Peruse the magazine. Don't they? We know a girl. We know a girl that was born this way. And her mom. got to basically go through a catalog and look at like, you know, UCLA grad student. You know what I'm saying? She got to pick herself what she wanted the different attributes to be. And that's how it worked. Wait, that's so crazy. Like, do they have like their senior photos next to all their stats? Well, they do. Really?
You know what they do? You get to see, like, if you're interested, you're like, well, what might my kid look like as a kid? Here it is. What might my kid look like as a teenager? Here it is. That's crazy. What? Yeah, dude. So they have photos of the father through... And they'll take like a photo of you and then they'll do this little computer thing and be like, your kid may look like this. Dude. Like a Dave and Buster's? Yeah, exactly. Like a Dave and Buster's. We know what Sky and Sean's kid would look like because they morphed them together as Dave and Buster's. We chose an Asian daughter. Yes. Even though neither of us are Asian. That's right. We roll that way. Yeah, you can choose, you know. And I think that's what they actually do at the sperm bank is they give you one free coupon to Dave and Buster's to be able to do this for yourself. That's all. Future Sunday, maybe, he would be open-minded to knowing them. He expressed a desire to know the six kids when we had talks. We have talks occasionally, maybe just once or twice a year. And he wanted to know them. And this probably makes them feel a little bit worried and scared and apprehensive, you know, to be in their life right now. And maybe just not the right time. Someday, he will.
I'm not going to say that, oh, I'm hoping, I'm relying on that. No, no, life goes on regardless. This was my choice to be a single parent. That is gnarly. Okay, I'm going to read you, because we're short on time, so I'm going to read you four clips. You tell me which one of these seems juicy to you guys. She explains why she wanted so many children despite growing up as an only child. Or... She explains why she allowed her doctor to implant her with so many embryos and says she doesn't think that the six kids she had didn't want more siblings. Nadia is asked about her financial situation and Nadia is asked about how she plans to feed them all. Oh, wow. I like that last one. Three or four. Three or four, right? Yeah. Let's hear them both. Some feel you did this to make a lot of money intentionally. To make a lot of money. That's really funny. Funny? That's funny how untrue that is. Money? Money is necessary to raise children, but it's paper. It is paper. To me, it is superfluous in contrast to the importance of my kids. And no, I am not receiving help from the government. I am not. There's nothing wrong with that for other people. But I am not. I thought she was, though. Yeah, well, I think she considers help from the government welfare. Okay. Food stamps are different.
trying to expect anything from anybody. I just wanted to do it on my own. Any resources that someone would really, really want to help with, swings or, you know, something in regards to just the children, that I will accept. I would embrace. But I'm going to do the very best I can to give them as much attention as possible with the help of volunteers, friends, and family. What else can one do? Okay. Want to know how she's going to feed them? Yeah. So if you were struggling when you had six children, did you have a right to get pregnant again? Again, I didn't believe it would even work. How will you feed all these children? I will feed them. I'll do the best I possibly can. And in my own way, in my own faith, I do believe wholeheartedly that God will provide in his own way. And again, I know that my degree will help. That will help. You know, oh man. You know, one of the most powerful things I think I ever heard the pastor of our church say is that God doesn't necessarily get you into your situations. You don't have to get yourself in. You know, you can't say, oh, yeah, you know what? I have faith that God will take care of it. Well, God didn't ask you to get yourself in this situation. You got yourself in this situation. You know, if that's the case, have more. Keep going. Yeah. I mean.
If you, if your deal is, well, you know, God's going to take care of everything. Well, why not 50 kids? Right. Why not 100 kids? I mean, at some point for ourselves, don't we have to go, well, you know, I got to use some like wisdom here. You know, I can't just keep going. And God doesn't just come in and go, here it is. Right. You got to meet him halfway. Right. Thank you. Being the only child didn't feel like you got enough love. How are all 14 of your children going to get enough love from you? How are you not setting up exactly the experience that you endured yourself? All I can do is do my very best and be there for them, be present in their lives, and have them as my absolute priority in my life. That was your baby monitor? Yes. You might want to go see what's going on, please. Wow. So it's a pretty big story. You're going to be hearing about that throughout the day. There's a CEO of a very big company that is taking the first steps towards running for the governor of this state in 010. Rod admitted yesterday to using steroids. And you're going to get to hear exactly what he had to say because we have the audio of him on SportsCenter. It is compelling and crazy stuff. We'll play it.
A-Rod admitting steroids next. This is the Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts at rock1053.com. Oh, great. Is there a problem, officer? Do you know why I stopped you? Wow. You do sound delicious. But that's not the point. If this is about tickets to the policeman's ball... The point is that enchiladas usually take forever. And yet you're ready so quick. I'd say there was speeding involved. Well, there's certainly no law against getting your enchiladas faster. Not to mention, I don't even drive... Tell it to the judge. Say some enchiladas just happen to find their way into your squad car. Would our little problem go away? Uh, what problem is that?

Rock 105.3. What about that right there? Love it. That's some good stuff, right? A couple of white guys singing with some soul. It's like that. It's like Rick. Yep. Yeah. Wow. This is the 28-hour show at 1 a.m. That's what I'm saying. So, before we went to break, I said that a CEO of a very big company was taking the first steps to run for the governor of California in 2010. Skye, who is it? It is former eBay CEO Meg Whitman. She's a machine.
Yeah. Yeah. She's coming to take over. That's why she's trying to do this to me. Okay. That's right. Well, Governator, you can't run for re-election in 2010 because of term limits. Come with me if you want to live. That's right. I do want to live. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I'll still live east or whatever. Okay. You know, I'd look at it. Well, thank you. You can't just go around shooting everyone. Yeah. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. No, wrong. Wrong line. Wrong line. Wrong line. Yeah, so she's formed an exploratory committee, which is the first step that allows you to start raising campaign money. Since leaving eBay back in January of 08, she first was the finance chairperson for Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. She's going to put Modesto on eBay. That's right. And I don't blame her. Yeah, I would too. I tried to give it away. No one would. Yeah, grand sale. Just take it. No offense. No offense, okay? I love you, Modesto. Yeah, you're great. But you know. You know. And then after Romney dropped out of the race, she became the national co-chair of John McCain's campaign. McCain. McCain. McCain. So she's taking the first steps. There it is. All right. A-Rod. A-Roid. Dude. Okay. The first one. There it is. What did I say? Oh, is there a slip there? Whoops. First of all, know that Boston Rob is not a fan of the Yankees. I'm not. Fan of the Yankees.
Boston Rob. Boston Red Sox. That makes sense then. So yeah, yesterday, 3 o'clock, SportsCenter, Alex Rodriguez comes on TV and Eddie says with bloodshot eyes. Really weird. And my guess is that it's probably been a pretty rough 24 hours for that dude. A lot of crying. Yeah. When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me, and I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day. Back then, it was a different culture. It was very loose. I was young. I was stupid. I was naive. And I wanted to prove to everyone that I was worth being one of the greatest players of all time. It's tough because, A-Rod, the reason why you got that contract is because you were so great. So why did you feel pressure to become greater than you already were? I don't understand that. Well, now, this begs the question. Do you believe that when he says that, that he's lying? He says he only did it for three years, and that was it.
and that he didn't do it before, and he hasn't done it since. He hasn't done it since he's been on the Yankees. He didn't do it when he was with the Mariners. He didn't do it when he was in high school. There was a three-year period he did it with the Texas Rangers, and that was it. I don't believe that. You don't? You believe he was doing it before? He might have dabbled in it before, but I don't know how he could say. You know, I stopped doing it when I got to New York. Talk about pressure. Yeah. I mean... And didn't... I know he had a couple of slumps in New York, but wasn't there at one point, like... He had so many home runs in just the month of April. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I forget exactly the stats. I think it was two million home runs. He had two million home runs. And no one even blinked an eye on it. They were just like, that's so normal. Two million is a lot. He was using the baseball bat as a toothpick. That is true. Yeah, he was. Wait a minute. He was using a tree trunk as a bat. He was doing that. I did take a banned substance. And, you know, for that.
I'm very sorry and deeply regretful. And although it was a culture back then and Major League Baseball overall was very... What's going on here with these big silent moments? He's choosing his words very carefully. Do we think there's probably a lawyer sitting off camera? Holding up cards. How did this go down? Turn that upside down. Turn it over. From what I saw, he was in a hotel room with just him and Peter Gammons from ESPN. I didn't see anybody else in there. There could have been. I just feel that... I'm just sorry. I'm sorry for that time. I'm sorry to my fans. I'm sorry for my fans in Texas. It wasn't until then that I ever thought about a substance of any kind. And since then, I've proved to myself and to everyone that I don't need any of that. Wow. We don't know, though. We don't know. There's no way to tell. And, you know, he says that, you know, he got tested.
I think he said one time for the World Baseball Classic. He was clean. That was here? Yeah. Here in San Diego? Yeah. But he didn't really mention being tested by Major League Baseball, which I thought was strange. Because I don't know how they do it. I mean, I guess it's random. Well, the stuff that we're hearing now, the 100 people, or the 100 and some people. Yeah, 104. Was that from Major League Baseball testing them? Yes. And that was supposed to be anonymously to see if they needed to do random testing. Back in 2003, they did that. Now it's been subpoenaed, and that's why. They're looking at it. Somebody that subpoenaed it, it let it out, leaked it. Here he is talking about what he used. You're saying that the time period was 2001, 2, and 3? That's pretty accurate, yes. And what kind of substances were you taking? Peter, that's the thing. I mean, again, it was such a loosey-goosey era. Extra credit. Can we pull that? Can you please pull, it was a loosey-goosey era. That's fantastic. I'm guilty for a lot of things. I'm guilty for being negligent, naive, not asking all the right questions.
To be quite honest, I don't know exactly what substance I was guilty of using. I hate that. That is so irritating. But if he says, doesn't he really get in trouble with the law? At this point, I don't think it matters. Yeah. I mean, he's saying he took something. Just say what it is. But if you say you took performance enhancing drugs, can't that fall under the umbrella, Ella, Ella, of something of a lot of different things? Can't that fall under the umbrella of something that they sell at GNC? Yes. So I'm wondering if he says. Well, I think it's knowingly taking something. So if he says, oh, I don't know what it was, like the whole Barry Bonds defense, like, yeah, my trainer was just giving me this cream stuff and I was using it, you know, he's saying like almost like he was drugged. Like he didn't really know. Yeah, I think Sky's right with that. You know, if he says exactly this, you know, and like that, I think there's more responsibility on his behalf to it. Hey, P1 Terry, can you tell everybody what a P1 is?
Mikey, a P1 is a man, woman, or child who listens exclusively to The Mikey Show for long periods of time, even commercials. It's not mandatory that we call in, but when we do, we turn our radio down, we get straight to the point, and we don't cuss. Dude, that was enormously, enormously done. Well said. Let's hook this guy up with something, Ash. That was very well done. Yeah, let's hook him up with something. Who does the prizes? Oh, is it? Yeah. Quimby? Hook him up with something. We got to give him something. For shizzles. Let's see. So, Terry, what were you calling to say? A little conspiracy theory, and I didn't have it when I went to bed, but I woke up thinking. All right. These are my favorite. Yes. What do you think about the fact that A-Rod came out first in all these names because he would cop to it and would admit it, kind of forcing the hand of the next 103, 104 players who tested positive? Now, that, okay, let's think this through. You're saying that because he's a big name, it'll force the other guys? No, because maybe they knew that he would say, yes, I did these steroids and validates his test. Yeah, because every name who comes out after this, if they say, no, I didn't, well, they look like an extra double-triple liar because they're on the same list as A-Rod, and A-Rod is saying, well, yeah, I did. But what other options did A-Rod have? And that's kind of where I'm looking at it.
Didn't Barry Bonds lie? And look at what is happening. Yeah, I mean, Barry Bonds is out of baseball. He's not going to get in the Hall of Fame. But not only that, Barry Bonds wasn't, before there was official tests and stuff done on Barry Bonds, he was asked, and his answer was always no. I think Barry Bonds dug himself a hole. So was A-Rod. A-Rod was on a CBS interview. They played back. With Katie Couric where he flat out said, no, I didn't use anything. Oh, I think we have. I think we got a clip of him talking about that. Oh, that very thing. Should we play it? What do you think? You mentioned the Katie Couric interview. You did say you were asked if you would ever use steroids, human growth hormone or other performance enhancing substances. And you said no. Flat out, no. For the record, have you ever used steroids, human growth? Now, is that necessary? Yes, Michael. Yes, Michael. You know you want to hear it. Please. You want to hear it. Listen, but he's already said, I lied. Now we've got to listen to him lying. Hormone or any other performance-enhancing substance? No. Have you ever been tempted to use any of those things? No.
You never felt like, this guy's doing it. Maybe I should look into this, too. He's getting better numbers, playing better ball. I've never felt overmatched on the baseball field. I've always been in a very strong, dominant position. And I felt that if I did my work since I was a rookie back in Seattle, I didn't have a problem competing at any level. No. In your mind, that wasn't a lie? You know, at the time, Peter, I wasn't even being truthful with myself. No. How am I going to be truthful with Katie or CBS? Today, I'm here to say the truth. And I feel good about that. I think the fans deserve that. And I'm ready to put everything behind me and go play baseball. Alex, let us play the clip again. Yeah. One more time from the top. Come on. Wow. There's more, too. What? Dude, we got more. Okay. Well, we haven't got to the juicy stuff. We're going to give you a little bit more a little bit later, and we're getting a lot of calls on it. And, Terry, so really briefly wrap that up for me. Tell me again what that conspiracy theory is. Just at the fact that they had an idea, and maybe it did have to do with bonds, but they had an idea that A-Rod would have to come clean, and it validates from such a big name and a big market.
that his test was accurate. Therefore, the next 1304 names, however many positive tests there were, it kind of forces them to go, yes, we lived in an era of steroids, and we all did it. And what's the point to get them to admit that they did do it? What's their motivation? Yeah, what's the motivation? Like, where does that get you? Then what happens? I'm kind of like Rob on this, that I don't want to know that my players did steroids, but there are people that are out there. And it also... May help prosecution of Bonds and potentially Clemens. But what I guess I'm interested in is if it is, let's say your conspiracy theory is correct. It's a conspiracy theory started by who? Major League Baseball? Congress? Who? Who was behind? Who would have known that A-Rod was going to confess and how would that have leaked? Yeah, because they'd have to have a motive. Let's say it was Major League Baseball and they were the ones that...
Pretty much thought that A-Rod was going to say this. And they wanted it out there. What's their point? What's the motivation? They are now forced to clean up their sport. Because the leak came from the prosecutor's office. So these are the lawmakers who are trying to get steroids out of baseball. There's a motive. Either way, somebody had a motive. They leaked it. So there you go. Hey, Terry, thank you, man. P1 Shipwreck has a question about A-Rod. Go ahead. Shipwreck, are you there? Shipwreck? Yes. Go ahead. Hey, this is actually for Boston Rob. Yo. Just playing devil's advocate on this one, but how would you feel like, say, if how many years ago A-Rod actually went to the Red Sox and this came out? Dude, that's funny you bring that up because I was thinking about that. My brother was watching this interview yesterday when I was kind of doing stuff around the house. Yeah. Put myself in that position. I said, man, what if, you know, that transaction went through and he came to the Red Sox. I mean, I can almost look at it as if, you know, this list comes out and one of my guys are on it. It's going to be heartbreaking, you know, especially. Well, that assumes then if you're saying it's going to be heartbreaking.
That assumes that right now, as it stands right now, you're assuming that all your guys are clean. I am. Your heart's not broken yet. I am. You are. Eddie just looked at you like, really? And you know what? He's going to look at me like I'm crazy. And, you know, the 2004 Red Sox team, I look at them, you know, Kevin Millar, Bill Miller, Pookie Reese, you know, Dave Roberts. They're all 40 pounds, Eddie. They weigh 40 pounds, each of those men. They don't, but, you know. I don't think any of them are carved out of steel. If it came out that Kevin Millar came out, I would 100% be like, oh, yeah, it makes sense. It's not like Rafael Palmeiro was chiseled out of granite. I'm not saying that that's got to be it. The character behind some of these guys, I'd like to think. You just love them. I do, man. Who would hurt the most? What Red Sox would hurt the most? I love it. I just told Eddie this. Jason Veritek. The captain of my captain, Jason Veritek. That would hurt the most. I'm standing on the table right now. Here's a really interesting, like, his stats. Okay. So 1996 was the first year he played the full season with Seattle. Okay. And I'll go from here on down what his home run stats were. Okay. He had 36 home runs, 23 home runs.
42, 42. Yeah, this is year after year after year. 41, yes. Okay, one more time. 36 in 96, 23 in 97, 42 in 98, 42 in 99, 41 in 2000. And then he went to Texas. Okay. So his highest was 42. Okay, now he says he didn't start until 2001. Until 2001. This is 2001. Okay. 52. Okay. 57. Oh, wow. That was the... 2002. 47 in 2003. And then it starts to go down. 36. Then it goes back up. 48. Then it goes down. 35. Then it goes up. 54. Then it goes down. 35. So there's a lot of peaks and valleys there. Look at that jump. Well, after 2000, when did the rule happen? After 2003, they did the mandatory test. Or they did that. Anonymous. Anonymous test. Which put them all on the radar, right? So now they're like, oh, we better stop doing this. In 2004, they started implementing drug testing. And he went from 47 to 36. Man. Dude.
And that's a significant. And jumping from 41 home runs in 2000 to 52 to 57. Yeah, dude. That's a significant amount. Do you think that that would be the profile of most Major League Baseball players? Or do you think that there's a lot of Major League Baseball players that started juicing way before 01? That's a good question. Maybe you could look at Jason Veritek's... He's never been a guy that... Go ahead. Are they solid and consistent the whole time? Rob just looked at me like, Mike, you're talking about my child. Mike, this is my son we're talking about. Of course he didn't do that. I raised him a lot better than to ever. Come on now. That's fantastic. P1 Bundy. Hey, Bundy, you there? Yeah, what's the bottom line, bro? What's the bottom line? Well, the bottom line is it boils down to greed and money. These guys all want to compete against each other. You know, you get MVPs. You can negotiate a contract. You know, Barry Bonds did it. I was the MVP. I want more money. These guys, when Eddie was saying that, you know, why would he do it when he was already good? Well, if he hits more home runs, I mean, look at that contract he got for Texas.
$250 million over 10 years. If he's not producing the numbers he did, he never gets that contract. And then you're like, well, I can even make more money if I do even more. I mean, he still gets paid by Texas to fulfill that money that he makes. Hold on a second. He got the richest contract in baseball history when he signed with the Texas Rangers. According to him, before he used steroids. So he got $252 million, whatever it was. And so if he continues to put up the numbers that got him that contract, I mean, you can't get any more money than the highest paid in baseball. So what would he do differently? Now, I'm going to offer this as a suggestion and a maybe. And it's what he said, too. Okay, so it's like this. Let's say that we leave here. And we go across the street and we're the new morning show at FM 98.6. Nine. I forget what they are. And we go over there, right? And they give us this gigantoid deal. Now, we're doing great here. Doing really good. But they hire us and they want us to put up those type of ratings, right? And we go there and let's say that I got some insecurity. Okay? Going there, there's some insecurity.
Even though we're great and everybody loves us, some of us, myself, have insecurity. Like, can I fulfill this? What if I get there and I choke? And so there is some wonder thing out there that makes you go on the radio and be like, you know, great. That's cheating. That's cheating. That's cheating. Totally. I'm not supposed to do it. It's like illegal in the United States. Let's say it's speed. Let's say it's speed. And I know all these other morning DJs. that do speed. And it's not, you know, the radio station turns a blind eye to it, and I go there, and I'm like, man, I don't know what to do here. I'm like, oh, man, the pressure, the pressure. I'm insecure of the pressure. I take speed. And lo and behold, our ratings are even bigger than they were when they were here, and they were big when we were here. I mean, he says the pressure was on. He's insecure. I've heard it said.
about Alex Rodriguez that despite everything, he's a pretty insecure guy. Barry Bonds, are you kidding me? I mean, are you kidding me? And so, you know, I think that's what I'm gathering from it is you have a guy that was already insecure. Like, okay, so his numbers were 36. I'm just picking that because I don't remember, but 36 home runs with the Mariners, right? In 2000. And he goes there and in his mind before the season started, he's like, what if I had 25 home runs? What if I if I hit 36 last year with the Mariners, if I hit 35 for the Texas Rangers, I'm a failure. I'm a failure. They just paid me the biggest contract in the history of baseball. If I go in there and I don't hit the same, I'm a failure. Now, I know these dudes and I'm seeing it like and Mark McGuire. This is A-Rod talking to himself. Mark McGuire broke the all-time... I don't know, man. What if... And then he blows up. He actually did improve his performance. But was it right? Would it be right to go and use speed? Which is illegal. Crack is whack. I've heard that. Whitney says it. I believe everything Whitney says.
We have more, by the way. Eddie's got more in the sports story when we do sports story a little bit later. I know it. I know it. Oh, Patrick Swayze likes us. Rob thinks he says that. Yeah. Put me in the corner, Patrick Swayze likes us. Eddie, put me in the corner. What does that even mean? I don't know. I didn't write that song. Yeah, it's a dirty dancing reference. All right, now you guys help me out here. Do we want to do the 10 or do we want to do the 30 to keep us on time? What are we doing here? Yeah, we're stacking. We're stacking? Oh, yeah. So are we going to do the 30? Okay. A federal judge ruled yesterday that California has to reduce their prison populations. I can tell you by how many. What? Like what percent? What? Dude, when you hear the percentage that they want to reduce the prison population, You're going to freak out. It's next. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Well, we were talking earlier about the economy and the things that we need to do to improve the economy and how it's really about the mom-and-pop places that are really important. And American Audio Video is a local company. They're P1s. And they're offering really, to me, the craziest thing. I've never heard of this being done before. This is absolutely unbelievable. This weekend, February 13th, 14th, and 15th. They're going to sell all of their TVs at cost. That doesn't happen. Dude, try going to one of the big box stores. Dude, where, where, where? American Audio Video. Write it down. I'm writing this down. Yeah, it's 8920 Kenamar Drive. It's right off of Miramar Road. Wait, wait, wait. Slow down. American Audio Video? Yes. It's 8920 Kenamar Drive, which is right off of Miramar Road, right behind that big giant pyramid. Uh-huh.
Yeah, I know exactly where that is. They're selling all of their TVs at cost. Dude, I know. When? This weekend. So Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I'm not going to say any names. I know certain companies that were going out of business, and I went and checked TV prices, and they weren't even dropping their prices for the TVs. That was the one thing in the building. They didn't drop the prices on. Everything else was closing sale, getting rid of. But to find a TV at cost, that's crazy. And you've always wanted to get that plasma. If you want to get your dude something for Valentine's Day, Rob, go into American Audio Video this weekend. On Saturday, they're going to have food and a bunch of cool stuff going on. And go in there and they're P1s. Like I said, P1 James, he works there. And so ask for him and tell him you're a P1. He wants to hook you up. So, again. American Audio Video, this weekend, huge sales, selling all their TVs at cost. What is racing done California style, you ask?

Well, traffic's getting tougher as we move along here this morning. South 15 is the backup now off the 78th down the Via Rancho Parkway. There's a new accident northbound 5 near Harbor Drive and Oceanside. Watch for possible delays there. South 5 is also seeing some reduced speeds as you head down that North County coastline coming out of Lucadia down and towards Solana Beach. There's an accident kind of adding to the slow, tight traffic in westbound 8th La Mesa from Spring Street out to an accident near Fletcher Parkway, which is pretty much out of the way. Once you get past Lake Murray, though, you're pretty much good to go. And it's getting tougher out of the South Bay, especially this 805 northbound. That's crawling here from Chula Vista up to a car fire being attended to near Home Avenue. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Allen? Yes. You went into Sleep Train in San Marcos. I sure did, Mikey. Thanks, dude. Eddie is going to start some stupid rumors. It's 7.37 a.m. Listen, so before we went to break, I said on the air, I go, we're talking about A-Rod. Eddie goes and reads what A-Rod's stats were from year to year. And they were dramatically increased in the year that A-Rod says he started to use steroids. And so I posed the question to Boston Rob. Because Boston Rob says I would be crushed if I found out.
than any of my Red Sox. And I said, wait, wait, Rob. I said, if you're saying that, then you are assuming that right now all your dudes have been clean this whole time? And he looked at me with a straight face and said, yes. And Eddie looks over at Rob like, are you a child? That's just silly, you know? And so Rob, so Rob, I say to Rob, I said, Rob, what player would hurt you the most? He said, the captain of the team. The captain, my captain. The captain, my captain. Jason Veritek. And I said, well, it's very easy. Eddie, why don't we just look up the... And Rob cuts me off and goes, go ahead. Go ahead. I did. I did. I said, okay. And so Eddie starts to work on it. Now, as soon as Eddie... hears this and goes on his computer. I see Rob and he's like, I got to look on my toe. So he's, so they're both over there, right? And they're both doing stuff on their computer. And I'm thinking to myself, I have not heard Rob speak up yet. I was doing some.
I have not heard Rob say anything. I heard Rob murmur, how do you delete the internet? And all of a sudden, I hear Eddie go, This is shocking. It's not shocking. Stop yelling at me. Don't yell. I have emotions. Please don't. Please. You're like a stone. Come on. Okay. So, obviously, Jason Veritek, he doesn't put up any kind of offensive numbers. You leave him alone, all right? I didn't even decide to look at him. Okay. I went for their giant offensive threat. Okay. Big poppy. No, dude. David Ortiz is a sweetheart, dude. Yes. Listen. He went through a lot. There's no way. There's no way. Well, let's take a look at his numbers, Mike. Hold on. And when did you? Calm down. Mike, you have to hear this. Listen. Calm down. Listen to me. America. His real first full year. Now you go. Listen to the amount of games. I'll say the number of games. He played in Minnesota, and the first full year was 2000 that he played. He hit 10 home runs. Eddie. No, you did not just say that. He hit 10 home runs. All right. In 2001. In 130 games. He hit 18. In 89 games.
In 2002, he hit 20. 125 games. In 2003, his first year with Boston, he jumps to 31 home runs. In 128 games. He plays three more games and hit 11 home runs. And a few years back, when he played two more games, he had a third less home runs. Okay, but you have to understand that. Now you go. It's not like he can go, you know. From one year, 89 games, all of a sudden to 120 games and still be the same player. Let's continue. You get into this rhythm. His name isn't on that freaking list. You better apologize. I want to hear 2004. Okay. 41 home run. In 150 games. So he played a full season. Yeah, yeah. 47 home run. Oh, my God. 159 games. Cody, Vicodin, Percocet, Thetanol, Oxycontin. All these things. Steroids. 2006. This is outrageous. 54 home runs. Where he broke the record. And he played a full season 151 games.
Eight games less than the year before. But now he's playing full seasons. Now he has played three full seasons in a row. So steroids is, you know, pretty out there now. His name isn't on that list. 2007, Mike. Down to 35 home runs. And he played 100. Now this is another full season. 149 games. He played three games or two games less. Two games less. No, he played eight games less. And he almost had 20 less home runs. This is also the year that he had his wrist injury. Oh, boy. Look at the injuries. Look at the corresponding. It's bad. If his name ain't on it, you better pray that his name is on that list. Because if his name ain't on that list, you better apologize to the American public. That means nothing to me if he's on the list from 2003. I think he was juicing in 2005, 2006. Oh, okay. Well, you know what?
Let me tell you. Let me tell you. Don't you reach your hand across to try to shake mine. We are friends. No. I just report the facts. Would you be mad at Tom Brokaw? That's right. The man is just simply reporting on the facts. But not the full story. I want to ask. He's tainted. Did you take steroids? I wanted to. And he can say no, and then we'll catch him. That's right. Then we'll catch him. See? You're on a witch hunt. He's A-Rod. You're a crucible. Rob, points for knowing what that is. That's right. I don't know what that is. Rob, you have to accept the numbers. I do, Mike, and I accept the full story. I followed his career, and when he has injuries, he's not going to hit as many home runs. I'm sorry about that. It takes brass balls. Anybody else want to fight? Easy, buddy. You think this is abuse? You can't take this. How can you take the abuse you get on a sit? Good point. Enough sports for today. All right. Now, before we went to break, I told you that a federal judge ruled yesterday that California.
Must reduce their prison populations. Now, I wonder where there's federal judges from. Something tells me it ain't San Francisco or Los Angeles or Modesto or Bakersfield. But maybe he is. Maybe the federal judge is from here. But if you're from here, man. Well, I think it's a California federal judge. It is? Yeah. He's probably moving to Nebraska. I would imagine it's got to be. Yeah, he's like, and I'm packing and leaving. What do you got, Sky? What do we need to reduce our prison populations by? Well, basically what happened, two class action lawsuits were filed on behalf of California prisoners who said that their medical and mental health care in the prison system was horrible and it violated their constitutional right against cruel and unusual punishment. Come on. Oh, boy. So the judge admitted that the prison system is about 200% of capacity, which is insane. So the federal judge tentatively ruled yesterday that California must reduce their number of inmates.
by up to 40% to stop the constitutional violation of prisoners' rights. That's idiotic. So basically half of the prisoners? Yeah, they say that's about 58,000 prisoners that would need to be released. That's not good, man. Wouldn't it make more sense to build more prisons? Dude, and you know what? What? More jobs? Seriously. Seriously, though. When I think about it, I'm like, where would I like us to put our money? How about that? Dude, absolutely. We're building a high-speed railway that no one's going to use from here to LA to San Francisco. Every weekend, bro. Every weekend. So when they say that we have to get rid of them, does that mean that literally we have to let them out of prison or we're going to go put them in another prison? No. Did they say, Sky? Well, what they're talking about here is letting people out of prison. Oh, wow. That's so scary. That's what I'm talking about, homie. No, no, homie. Get back in jail, you. If it violates the Constitution right now, we can't build new prisons overnight. It's going to take a long time to get the funding together to build them. But on Extreme Home Makeover, they do it in a week. You always bring that up. Seriously. So why can't, you know why? Thank you. Exactly. Well, you know what they do? Let's do some demo!
Move that bus. Move that bus. So the governor says he will immediately appeal this ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court. Do they say which prisoners? Let's see. Because if it's weed stuff, let them out. All names starting with I through Z. Yeah, right? The director of the prison law office, I guess that's a group who provides legal services to California prisoners, says that he believes that it would affect those people who are in jail just for a few months because of parole violations. Those people who were up for consideration for early release dates and people who could take part in rehabilitation programs instead of being in prison. I'm kind of down for that, but they have to really look it.
The cases, though, you know? Yeah, one by one. Yeah. I mean, no matter what, man, you got a lot of prisoners going to be out of prison. That's scary. That freaks me out. So does that mean if you commit a crime, you don't have to go? Because they're like, no, we're going to let you out anyways. I don't know. Why would you ask that? So we got an email. We got an email. Hey, crew. Yesterday, B-Rob said he hoped they didn't pull the Chris Brown double mint gum commercials. Oh, the Ashley After Show. Yeah, if you watched the Ashley After Show yesterday on MikeyShow.com, it's all about Rob's feelings about Chris Brown and this like... Double Mint Gum. Very passionate. Well, Ashley led me into a, yes, passionate topic of mine, which is the Double Mint commercials. He really likes them. I might have done a little singing. We don't know. It was really special. MikeyShow.com. Okay. Okay, so here's the thing. Chris Brown, first of all, what I think is kind of interesting is that...
You know Neo? You know who Neo is, right? Yeah, from The Matrix. Yeah, from The Matrix. He had to decide between the blue pill or the red pill. Yeah, yeah. I think he's a singer. Well, Billy Bush actually told Neo the news. He hadn't heard about it. Wow. And they were at a camera there. Take a breath, Neo. That's right. Right when it happened. So cool. Got into a fight at 1230 last night. Pulled over to the side of the road. Got into a big argument. And then afterwards... She had visible injuries on her, and she named him as the attacker, and he left the scene. Goodness gracious. I got some phone calls to make. I got to talk to that dude. You're friends with Chris Brown. Friends with both of them. I got to see what's going on with him. Well, not just that, but the backlash has begun. Has it? Yes, it has. Yeah, yeah. Billy Bush pretty much described what happened there. You know, Rihanna is his girlfriend. She is the victim in this. L.A. police officer who photographed Rihanna at the scene described the injuries as horrific, major contusions to both sides of her face, a split lip and a bloody nose. What?
Yeah, Chris Brown had fled the scene on foot, leaving Rihanna there with their rented Lamborghini, which they had rented for the Grammy weekend at $2,000 a day, which is now an impound. Chris Brown still paying $2,000 a day on a rented Lamborghini in the impound yard. Chris Brown has retained the services of celebrity attorney Mark Garagos, who we know from Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson case. So now, like Mikey said, the backlash. I guess Chris Brown was supposed to participate in a lot of this NBA All-Star stuff. He was supposed to perform at the halftime show, and also there was going to be like a celebrity game. He's pulled out of both of those, but the big thing is these. They probably helped him to pull out of both of those. Yeah, I'm sure. So the big thing is this Wrigley's Doublemint commercial. Double your pleasure. Get it, Rob, get it. I have to say, I've never seen it. I know everybody's been making such a big deal about this. So good. And I'm like, I wish I knew what everybody... He's singing about Double Montgomery. Today is really trying, my nerves. I know, it really is. Ashley, can you find it on YouTube and pop it up? First, Big Poppy uses steroids. Dude, yeah. First, the breaking news that Big Poppy's numbers were inflated during certain years. Cheater. That's got to break your heart.
Yeah, so Wrigley's has issued a statement regarding Chris Brown and his endorsement of their gun. Quote, Wrigley's is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However... We've made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until this matter is resolved. Oh, boy. I'm sorry, Rob. I can't. Like, one of my favorite commercials. It's a tough day, Rob. What does he do? He sings in it? He's just dancing. Yeah, dancing. Floats around on gum. They got to stop running that. It's awesome. It's so awesome, man. And this song is perfect for the gum. What a bummer. I have it. You got it? You got it? Let's hear it. Let's hear it. I like him. I think he's a good singer. Yeah. And he's a good dancer, too. There it is. That's right. I'm sorry, Mom. It really upset everybody. Have I mentioned that we have NASCAR tickets in the 8 o'clock hour? Yeah, NASCAR tickets for this weekend, right, Sky? It's this weekend. The 21st. For Fontana. That's right, dude. Fontana.
We got Fontana tickets to give away, and we'll do it in the 8 o'clock hour. Eddie was able to work out the interviews of all interviews. Let me tell you something. This is an exclusive. There is no one else in the city of San Diego that has this interview today, and you know what it is? What? You know how the dude was sitting up in the tree? Oh, yeah. And he claims that the mayor told him to... Encinitas. Yeah, that the mayor told him that he wouldn't cut the tree down, and so he got out of the tree? Mm-hmm. We're going to interview the tree. That's right. Take it in. Take it in. Deal with it. We're going to interview the tree next. The Mikey Show is on. All right. Valentine's Day, four days away, man. It sneaks up on you. It's crazy. Does she know that there's rules to broadcasting? The Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. My kid, Jake, hears a song, and he's just like his old man. He says, again, and he'll... Dude, he even does it more than I do. And I can sit there and do it for a long time. He does it forever, man. He doesn't give up. Welcome back. It is 8.02. And before we went to break, I told you. I said, listen. We have the interview of all interviews. Now, first of all, Skye, catch everybody up on this story and what we're talking about here. Okay, well, yeah, last week it was a big news story about how these trees were going to be cut.
cut down in this Encinitas Park because one of the rules to the trees is they couldn't obstruct the ocean views to certain condos and they grew to a point where they were obstructing the views. So the plan was cut down these trees and then plant new baby trees in a spot that were not going to obstruct the views. So this one hippie activist dude got wind of this and decided he was going to go live up in one of the trees and save the tree. So he was up there for about a week. We even talked to him last week on the Mikey Show, did a little phone interview with him, and he said he was going to stay up there as long as it takes. Well, it turns out over the weekend, he claims that he got a phone call from the Encinitas mayor telling him that she was going to save the tree and it was okay for him to come down. So he came down, went out of town, said, I'm going to turn my cell phone off because, you know, I just want to unplug from this whole big thing. Well, the mayor of Encinitas says, no, I never called that. guy and that tree is coming down. You got punked. Yeah, big time punk. That's basically where we're at today with that. Well, listen, in what I think is a coup, we have the tree on the line right now. What? Is this the tree? Oh, no. Oh, my goodness. The tree. I can hear you. Dude, what is up? You guys, this is the Encinitas tree.
It's okay. It's okay. Are you on your cell phone? Okay, gotcha. Why are you... I know. Why are you whispering? You're afraid that they're going to... Sky, are you hearing this? This tree is afraid that now that the hippie is not in him to protect him, people are going to cut him down. The others? Like I'm lost? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They've killed him. No. I think he's... Maybe all the other trees are done. Yeah? I'm only safe during the night because they come out of bed. Oh, no. He's thinking it's lost, I think. I think he thinks it's lost. Yeah, I need to protect me from that. It's garlic across.
And a really smelly hippie. Oh, wait. The only thing that protect you from the others. Those are the things that, yeah. That would protect you. The really smelly hippie left so I'm screwed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry, Tree. Any chance you can send Boss Rob out here to sit with me? And we didn't be able to work that out. The only other smelly hippie I know. That's a good idea. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'd probably do that for sure. Not a hippie, though. You all right, Tree? He sounds like Blair Witch kind of tree, right? I love that. Like he's got a video camera under his tree nose? Yeah. Snot is coming out. Snot's coming out. He's got a beanie? There's sap. That's disgusting. I have to tell you, I'm shaking like a leaf. I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. The root of the problem is that I don't have a thing to stand on. Okay, we see what's going on. It's very funny. I mean, you got one guy trying to bark orders. Get it? Yeah, another pun. It's another pun now. I could just wish that I could extend the olive branch. You get it? Okay, well, you're not. The olive branch. Well, he's not even an olive tree. He's not an olive tree. That's the weird part about it. We don't know, man. Yeah. So, I was talking to the flowers. Yeah. And they've been telling me to stop tripping out.
And then I'm just being paranoid because of all the weed those hippie dudes were smoking. Okay. For those of you just tuning in, we're talking to the Encinitas tree. I'm a beautiful tree. Thank you, Sharon. Thank you, tree. I swear, someone is out to kill me. I don't appreciate this. I couldn't get any rest all last week. Those hippies were just playing their guitars. I mean, this isn't burning, man. I mean, shut up. Let me get some sleep. I'm a tree. That's true. You are. Those hippies, they stink. Yeah, they do. They do stink. Now, imagine, if you can, Matthew McConaughey's armpit having a baby with Courtney Love's breath. I don't mean to be rude, but how does the tree even know who those people are? Yeah. How do you know who those people are? Oh, because I'm a tree. I don't know what's going on. Yeah, that's kind of messed up, Scott. Do you mean people? Yeah, I mean, how do you know who that is? Yeah, people's made for my brother. Oh, no. That's not cool. Oh, very sensitive, Scott. Real. Oh, by the way, thanks, tree guy, for leaving your hemp toilet paper hanging from my branch. Oh. Nothing like getting high off a hippie wipe.
Okay. Poor tree. I'm sorry, tree. All right, tree. I think somebody's coming at me with an act. All right, tree. Be safe. Be safe. We lost connection. I hope he's okay. We lost connection. I had no idea it was like that. What a tough situation. Wow. That was really, really touch and go there for a second. Poor guy. Man, what an exclusive. What an exclusive. I feel like I know him now. I know it. That was touching. Okay, a couple of things I got to tell you. First of all, may I say happy anniversary to my wife. Today is my wife and I's fourth wedding anniversary. Wow, four already? Yep. Four years ago today, we were in Maui by ourselves, eloping. All right, show off. Yeah, we eloped.
Why not? We met on the internet, didn't we? She doesn't like it when I tell you that. She doesn't. No, she gets really sad. And it wasn't eHarmony or anything like that. Ever tell you this story? I met Rebecca by typing her name into a search of people in San Diego on AOL. That's how I met her. I love it. It's so wild. Yeah, and there was this guy named Adam that I knew at the time, and he was basically teaching me how to meet girls on the internet. True story. And he goes, think of a hot girl's name. And I had never known a Rebecca, didn't know anybody named Rebecca, but I thought it was a hot girl's name. So I said, Rebecca, we got married. Wow. Dude, that's awesome. That's crazy. And she's perfect for you. I love her. Let's be honest. I love her guts out. She is great for you. I don't know if we should say that. I love her guts, man. She is. Oh, I know the feeling. Okay. Well, if you're listening, honey, I love you very much, and happy anniversary, and you are the sunshine of my life. Love you, too. Love you. Nick Cannon has signed on as the new host of America's Got Talent. Whoa. Maybe he'll make that show good. Well, that's impossible. Yeah, that's a losing bet. They didn't like Jerry Springer? Jerry Springer said, I'm good.
Thank you, but no thank you on a fourth season. So take care. That's awesome. And I'll see you later. That's pretty straightforward. He's done. So Nick Cannon says he's thrilled to be working with NBC and that they understand his vision not only as an entertainer, but as a creative show producer. And he looks forward to working with the network and their team on America's Got Talent and other shows to come. He is. He's real good. And you guys like him? Based on what? He does, what's that show on MTV? Wilding Out? Oh, yeah. Or something? Hyping it or something? I've never heard of it. No, he's got a show on MTV that he produces. I mean, it's respectable. Just before Governor Drive, there was a stalled-out car right in the middle of the freeway that caused just a major slowdown with the commute traffic here in Kearney Mesa. And they've now got it out of the way, but things are still pretty backed up. South 15, still slow and go from the 78 to Villarancho Parkway out of Escondido. More brake lights into Carmel Mountain Ranch. Westbound 56, still backed up as well, just past Black Mountain Road, slows all the way to the 5 freeway. And that coaster ride on the 5 southbound, still tough from Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.
He's so tan. He really is. He looks so good. It's called brown sugar. K.O.C. San Diego's Rock. Five, three. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mike Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love it. Sky. I don't know everything. Boston Rock. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Oh, my youth. My youth. Here we go. Oh, that's fantastic music. Good stuff right here. Is that Orleans? Is that who it is? I think when they put out a new album, they call it New Orleans. New Orleans? Dude. Really? How do they not? You're better than that, though. I'm not. I'm not at all. You are better than that. Oh, it's fantastic.
So I told you before we went to break that there is a San Diego County mailman accused of stealing mail. Skye actually had something like that happen to her in San Jose one time. Didn't you, Skye? Yeah, I had my mail stolen, which was just awesome. Was it a mailman or was it a mail? It was a person. Well, I don't know who stole it, but somebody stole it. Bad karma. You know, my husband had one of those, like, credit cards where they send you, like, checks, which I now resent and think is just bad, bad security. So that was in the mail the day that somebody stole my mail and took those checks and went to, like, a bunch of, you know, like... He was trying to help you. He was trying to help you out. You were searching for the word. That was in the San Jose era, so we don't know. I don't know. The real stories of a jacuzzi club. I think Eddie was just carry-on. Carry-on, Skye. No, actually, surprisingly, it wasn't a bathhouse. It was electronic stores that they took these checks to and wrote checks, and then they were charged to my husband's credit card. The mom, that's not it. Probably bad timing.
It created a lot of hassle for us. Yeah, it did. But we don't know if it was the mail person or if it was somebody who just walked by our mailbox and was like, thank you very much. But it sucked. Have you guys ever got letters in the mail like, you know, business correspondence? And it seems like one corner of the deal has been torn. Just the corner? Like literally ripped? Yeah, no, figuratively torn. Metaphorically speaking? Yes, metaphorically speaking. Have you ever received a letter that you were like, boy, that looks like the relationship is torn between me and this envelope? No, I mean literally. Like the Natalie Imbruglia song. Yes, that's what I meant. I meant like the Natalie Imbruglia song. Now I have a visual. I meant like someone ripped it as opposed to like. you could tell if it was scuffed up. No. What I mean is, it looks like somebody ripped it. And this is what people say to me, because I've said this before, and people go, well, isn't that the machine? The machine that sorts the mail does that. I'm like, I don't know about that. I tell myself that just so that I don't think that before I look at my mail. I do too. That's what I do. I try to convince myself, no, no, no, no, it can't be that. It can't be that. So Sky, where is this mailman from?
From Santee, everybody. For goodness sake. I love Sandy. Yeah, he's suspected of stealing mail over the last four years. They found things like debit cards, money, gift cards, social security documents. Well, it's tax time. So, of course, W-2 wage and tax statements. What is the deal with that? Yeah. Identity theft. I don't know. I don't know. That's a guess. Allegedly. That's just a guess. For four years? They say for four years. Yeah. That sucks. That does, man. Yeah, so people weren't getting their, like, you know, Christmas gifts and, you know, birthday presents. That deserves a different kind of punishment. Yeah. Yeah, when you have to, like, apply the hurt of others to it, like, there should be some sort of thing tacked onto it. Something.
You guys ready to do this? If you guys are wondering why is everybody trying to root me on here, I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why. The reason that they're all trying to show me their support right now is because, well, I can be a little scatterbrained at times. Games are hard enough for you just figuring them out, and now you're running the controls on everything. I'm going to have to do it at one point, too, so I should come over there. Yeah, yeah. Here, come here. I'll show you. So here is, down here in yellow, Rob, is the timer. Oh, that's easy. Does that make you nervous? It makes me so mad. It's going to be fine. So the way that it works is that you have 60. I'm going to be great. What I'm going to do is I'm going to pull some names out of a hat, and those will be the people that will be competing in P1 Password. They're show members. And the first person that's going to be up is P1 Bass Assassin. How are you, man? What up, Mikey? Not too much, dude.
A little nervous, Bass Assassin. Bass Assassin is into NASCAR. That is hard to believe. I'm just saying it goes completely against the stereotype. Okay, Bass Assassin. Yes. Let's hope that I can get this right. Hang on the line, please. All right, man. All right, now the way that P1 Password works is that the folks on the show are actually playing for the person on the phone. In this case, it's P1 Bass Assassin. Now, I've got the show members' names in a hat here. I'm shaking up the names, and I'm going to pull two names. The first name will be the communicator, and the second name will be the listener. They will have 60 seconds to communicate five words. I'm feeling lucky today. I'm nervous. I'm not. The only thing is, is that they can only use a word to describe that word. They get three shots. You can only pass twice. You can only pass twice. Okay, so I'm reaching in and I'm pulling a name. The describer, the communicator is B-Rob. Oh, no. I knew it. He's the worst at this. I'm so horrible. That is true. Oh, no. And the listener is me. Don't be me. Oh. Wait. How are we going to do that? Jesse, don't cry. All right, let me come over. Eddie's going to do it. Oh, man. I'm in the controls, Chetty.
Oh, so I got to communicate. This is going to be brutal. So here's the timer. And here's the words. The white? Yeah, but I don't want to look. Don't look, Mike. I haven't. I'm being honest. I haven't seen the words. So, Skye, I need you to do what I usually do and hold up your hand for how many he gets right and all that stuff. Each time I get one right. I feel your breath. I have to exercise your fingers. Mike, I'm going to be honest with you, dude. I'm nervous. I'm so bad at this. I'm so bad. Now, we got to point out, too, that the listeners will know what the word is. Yes. The listeners will know what the word is. But I have my headphones off. I can't hear a thing. So all of you listening in your cars and at home and at work. You will get the benefit of hearing the word I won't. And Rob has to communicate. Yeah, and then me horribly try to explain. Oh, no. He only gets easier to describe and he gets three whacks. Are you guys ready? I'm ready. Ready. Here's the first word. Star. Sky. Plane. Clouds. Star. Correct. Speaker. Radio.
Waves. Listen. Boombox. Part. Dial. Anniversary. Mikey. Rebecca. Married. Today. Anniversary. Correct. Volcano. Hawaii. Tropical. Lava. Volcano. Correct. Soccer. European. Vacation. Sport. European sport. And my last clue is going to be football. European sport football. Soccer? Yeah. Dude, we did it. No, no, no. Yes. I don't care about time limits. Okay, Rob. That was incredibly good, Rob. Thanks, Rob. I'm just really proud of myself for that.
Man, that is not an easy thing to do. The anniversary, I was very proud of myself. I'm very sorry, Bass Assassin. We couldn't do it for you. Sorry, man. I'm sorry. I'll do anything for some NASCAR tickets, bud. Hey, dude, I wish we could do it, but we just weren't able to do it for you. We've got to be fair. Yeah, maybe if people don't win today, we'll have them left over to give away tomorrow. That is true. You never know. P1 Disney dad. Hey, what's up, Mikey? Dude, how bad would you like NASCAR tickets to go see NASCAR race in Fontana? Dude, that'd be pretty cool to never see him live. No. Let me tell you, the time I saw him live was at Fontana, and it's an amazing, amazing experience. It's an amazing experience. It's like thunder in there, man. Hang on the line, okay? All right, let's do it. Okay. Now, the first name I will draw will be the communicator. Okay. And... It's Eddie. Oh, yes. Someone is locking out. Someone is locking out. Eddie's good at this. Big time locking out. Big time. Be me. Be me. The listener will be... Be me. Ashley. Oh, no. Ashley's the listener. Mike. Oh, boy. Okay, do you see how I went down? I got... So I stopped with soccer. Yep. And I have the... And I have the sound effect. I got the ding. And you know what I...
Do we have... I think it's cold. You are so sweaty right now. Let me see the pits. Let me see the pits. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. It's like a loose thing, too. She really does sweat a lot. It is. She really does sweat a lot. All right. So let's give this sucker a try. Come on, kid. Focus. I'm in his own. Be smart. Be smart. All right. Ashley cannot hear anything. But all the listeners right now, I'm going to play the words, you'll hear the words, and Eddie will try to communicate them. Right. Here we go. Nachos. Chips. Salsa. Cheese. Nachos. Yep. Got it. Pickle. Cheese. Hamburger. Bun. Condiment. Mayonnaise. Grain. Relish. Ah, pissed.
Lawn mower. Wow. Pass. Arctic. Cold. Hot. Earth. Ocean. Freezing. Glacier. No. Is that not it? That's it? Yeah. I don't know how to do lawn mower. Grass. Cut. Like everything that was coming into my head was like mow lawn. Yeah, those are the two words that make a lawnmower. I can't do that. Oh, wow. That was terrible. Okay, now this is what we're going to do. And we have to apologize. Sorry about that, Disney dad. We were trying really hard, brother. P1 Scotty. Scotty, you're our last chance to give away these NASCAR tickets today. Can you hang in line?
Oh, yeah. Come on, guys. All right. Sky will be playing for sure. Yes. And what we're going to do is we're going to put all the other. She's the communicator. Yep. She's the communicator. I'm really bad. We will put all of the other names back in and somebody will be playing twice today. But Sky is the communicator. All right. Okay. Oh, my gosh. I'm so nervous. Sky is communicating with B-Rob. Oh, no. We're money. We are money. Great team. We are superfluous. Oh, no. That really scared me. That really scared me. He wrote that down earlier today. Time is of the essence here, okay? Okay. I'm going to keep my headphones on. No, no, you cannot. That is actually cheating. Got to take the headphones off. But remember, time is of the essence. Time is of the essence. Okay. Time is our enemy. What? Let's make him stop. Oh, look. I think Ash got it. We got it. Yes. And we're good. You know, the only problem is... What's the problem? I can't hear it, so put the headset on. No, Rob. Okay, got it all figured out. Daddy's got it figured out. Let's do this. All right, are you ready? Yes. Skye? Yes. Come on. All right, I'm going to try. Okay, here comes the first word. Public. Private. Parts. Okay. Restroom. Stall.
Private. Area. Office. Work. Job. Room. Office. Wow. Rookie. Baseball. Bat. New. Young. Rookie. Suffer. Pain. Sadness. Hurt. Fear. Feeling. Emotion. Bikini. You don't suck today. I'm sorry, P1 Scotty. We didn't pull it out for you, brother. Oh, beat me up. Sorry about that. Oh. Public. Man. Dude, that was hard.
She does that like private. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the opposite of private. I know. I totally didn't. I'm sorry, everybody. Well, listen. You know what this means? You know what this means? What? This just means that we have more NASCAR tickets to give away a little bit later. That's right. Okay. Hey, have you guys heard about this, man? I mean, talk about a big story here in San Diego. Father Joe Carroll. We've all seen him on TV. We all know he's a good guy, and he does some really great things. Father Joe Carroll. may be getting sued by a pair of homeless men. And then it's just a crawl over the 8 freeway all the way up in towards Kearney Mesa. There was a stalled-out car that blocked middle lanes for a good time here past Governor Drive, and that's what caused that major backup. South 15, so slow and go out of Escondido off to 78 to Villarancho Parkway. Some reduced speeds again to Carmel Mountain Ranch. And the coaster ride South 5 stays heavy from Point City Lane in Carlsbad all the way to Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood of 5.3.

The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. God, who's this? Mighty Mighty Boston. It's 8.39, and before we went to break, I said that we were going to come back, and I was going to be telling you about Father Joe Carroll. Now, we all see Father Joe Carroll on TV all the time. He's a great guy. He does a lot of really good stuff for the community, and he's just a good dude. Yeah, he's the president of San Diego's largest homeless service agency. Love Father Joe Carroll. Yeah, St. Vincent de Paul. Now, what's the deal? Well, I guess a couple weeks ago, during the early evening hours on January 31st at 16th and F Street.
Father Joe was making a right turn around a corner, and there were two homeless dudes that were in the crosswalk taking their sleeping bags and bundles of clothes and everything across the street. And when Joe Carroll turned the corner, he said he did not see them, and he hit the guys. And he immediately stopped his car and got out, and one of the homeless guys was yelling at him, asking him why he didn't stop. And Father Joe was saying that he tried, he just didn't. see them in time and uh so one of the guys uh immediately went to the hospital saying he had neck hip and back pain the other guy didn't immediately go to the hospital but claims that he did go to the hospital later that afternoon to get treatment so both of these guys have now gotten a lawyer And the lawyer is looking into all of this and wants a copy of the accident report and also says that she's surprised that the police didn't test Father Joe to determine whether he had been drinking that night. Father Joe, who's 67 years old, says he has not had a drink of alcohol since he was ordained as a Catholic priest back when he was 33 years old.
So this lawyer is looking into every angle and we'll see what comes of that. You know, I would like to ask people to pray for Father Carol because I think that's a sad thing. And I know he does a lot of good things for people. And that's sad, man. So I'd love to invite people to pray for him and hope that there's a positive outcome on that because that's a sad story, man. Hear him in that kind of a position. So, Eddie, is it true? that on the show The Bachelor, there's a girl from Carlsbad. Yeah. Oh, hello. I think her name's Naomi. Yes. I'm really starting to think more guys watch The Bachelor now than even girls, or at least the same amount, guys to girls watching The Bachelor, because, you know, for the guys, there's all these gorgeous women on there. Sure. And I think that all of us guys, I don't know, we have this weird... attraction to the craziness that you see sometimes absolutely it's all 100 about the craziness yeah and um so there's that element and if you don't know anything about the bachelor the idea is that they take a young swinging bachelor who just hasn't met the right girl and they put him into a house uh and and then they have 25 girls come and not stay there with him but just as suitors yeah
They stay in a house together. Yeah. And then he whittles it down until he finds the one. Oh, so romantic. Very. The American dream. With all the cameras around. So Eddie saw it last night. And Rob, you saw it too, right? Yeah, this was the first episode I've watched in a couple of years. This season? Yeah. Oh, in a couple of years. Sky, do you watch The Bachelor? No, I watched the premiere of this season, but I haven't watched since. Eddie, how was the girl from Carlsbad? Well, I have a theory on the show. You know, they they have this thing where they get down to four. He goes to all of their hometowns and meets their families and interacts with them and stuff. And my theory is that the producers of the show tell the families, hey, you need to be crazy. Like you need to act wacky and like be crazy for the cameras, because if not, you'll be boring. Right. And because every time he shows up at these families houses. Yeah. They act like psychopaths. Really? The dad is like, you know, showing him a shotgun or or like, you know, last night they were making him wear hats and like goofy. I mean, like ridiculous things that would never happen. Yeah. You know, otherwise. So that's my theory. So he goes to this house and her folks lived in Lake Elsinore. So it wasn't Carlsbad. She's from Carlsbad, I guess. But they went to Lake Elsinore to meet the family and he shows up and the mom like starts.
bringing out hula hoops, and he's got to, like, do hula hoops, which he's, like, terrible at. Then, you know, she starts asking him about reincarnation and if she believes in that, and he's, like, tripping out about that. Then she comes out. She goes into the refrigerator, comes out, and brings out a dead dove that she said, like, hit her car, and she wanted him to bury it and give the eulogy. When I showed up to the house today, I did not expect to be giving a eulogy. Naomi's mom hit a dove, like the signal of peace and freedom. And we're about to have a burial for a dove. You need to get like an in-loving memory of Rosie who died on my windshield. Well, I think that we can all agree that Rosie has touched us all in a way that we never could have imagined. I don't really want to hold him. And make many things grow. When will reality TV get that they got, you know, listen, reality TV has now turned into producers creating stupidness, right? Yeah. And I think that it's so prevalent that it will now be new and different to go back to the old way where they just let real life speak for itself. There's such a crazy dynamic of just having families react to such a weird situation. Yeah. And there's no need for this.
You know, they think that they need it, but they don't. Yeah. Okay. It's a she. She. Her name's Rosie. Yeah. How do you know a she bird? Good question. Is there boy parts on a bird? No. Look at those breasts. Get it? Yeah, you get it? Chicken breasts. Chicken breasts. I want to thank Rosie for sacrificing herself for this moment of... What's the music, too, by the way? Yeah. Like Tim Burton? Yeah, it does. It does. It sounds like Tim Burton or, you know, something like that. Well, they're trying to make you feel like this is weird. Like, we get it. We don't need to have music to feel. Celebration of life. Yeah. And there's really no such thing as death. Everyone sing goodbye. Bye, Rosie. That's why I hate it. Well, I mean, not that specifically, but reality TV, that's what they're doing now. And the girl, you know, is freaking out like, oh my God. And she's the one that got kicked off.
Really? She's the one that got kicked off. Really? Yeah, I mean, I don't think he was that into her anyway, but that didn't help. I would have been like, whoa, I'm not hanging around with these people. Eddie's on Man vs. Wild, too. When is it? Monday nights, right? Yeah, it's on Monday nights now. I haven't seen it either. You're fine. Is it still? It was an interesting episode. And one that made me think, and I don't want to hear any garbage out of you over there. Sky. Sky. And your rubbish talk. And so people know, well, so people know, Man vs. Wild, we have been saying, Eddie and I and Rob. To an extent. The only fans of the show, on the show. We love it. Well, you're men. And we don't care about the whole, you know, he doesn't do everything. I don't care about any of that. Please. He's crazy. Bare Girls is crazy. Yeah. So. He ate some gross stuff. Some really gross stuff. He's a survivalist. And it made him sick. Like, it gave him food poisoning. Really? Yeah, and he was talking about how he had, like, diarrhea all day, which is, you know, bad in the wilderness. Yeah. And I completely... Sky just... It was like, you know, I mean, I didn't even do anything. I'm sitting here on my desk.
I know. She was being cool. I'm poking a bear with a stick. No, Eddie's right. Eddie's right. Eddie's right. He's a person, too. I couldn't hold it back. Anyway. I'm sorry. I really don't believe he was hanging out in the wilderness all day if he was that sick. I think they flew him out of there. Really? Yeah, because they didn't really show him. That's fair with me if somebody's ill. They didn't really show him being, like, sick. I don't know that they could. You know what he should have done? It's a different network, Eddie. Well, what he should have done is said, you know... If this would have happened to you, this is what you should look for. You go home and you stay in a hotel. You would be dead right now. Call for your helicopter. If this happens, make sure you're airlifted out by 5 p.m. At 6 o'clock, it might be dark and you'd be scared. You don't want to be scared and sick. It was kind of funny because, you know, he was talking about being sick and all that stuff. And then, like...
Five seconds later, he's like, oh, there's civilization. I'm safe. Which I thought was kind of funny. He didn't have, like, some crazy, like, tree sap to, like, lick to, like, help your stomach? No, but he did have some leaves that were comfortable in the bum if you need to wipe. Are you serious? He showed you which ones to use. I know me. I get poison ivy, you know? Right? You're like, oh, this is furry. But. No, I know where it comes from, Eddie. I mean, come on. The craziest thing is the show previews for next week's episode. Where is it? Sky, have you ever watched an episode of Man vs. Wild? I think so. It's great, isn't it? Who used to watch all those stupid shows? The Survivor Man and The Man vs. Wild. Your husband. He's forced you. I'm sure a few years ago I walked out. You'll want to watch next week. No, I don't. He comes across a brown bear. He's like, don't make any sudden movements. Sees the brown bear, observes it, and the bear goes away. He runs to where the bear was, finds its poop.
digs through it with his hands, and finds undigested nuts and berries. No, he doesn't. No, he doesn't. No, he doesn't. No, he doesn't. Washes it all with his canteen. I don't believe that that's true. And enjoy. No. He does not. Hey, it's trail mix. It's literally trail mix. The Mikey Show. Why can't you just have a coat problem like everyone else? Is he yapping about the Red Sox? Yes. Is he? Yeah. He says he has emails. I got emails. I got emails. Paulies, dude. Two words, Rob. Paulies. Joker. Wow. Well, we'll get into that in just a second in the sports dirt. You'll know exactly what Rob is yapping about and has been yapping about now for two hours, man. It's just something he's going to have to come to terms with, I think, on his own, you know? Yeah, yeah.
I have emails to back me up. Oh, we know. Emails. Yeah. With an S. More than one. That means it's true. Thank you. I wonder where they're all coming from. America. Uh-huh. Okay. First of all, you got to hear this. America. Do you remember us talking about yesterday the guy that called 911 at Burger King? Oh, yeah. I clearly remember this. I clearly remember this guy. Fill us in. Okay, so this older gentleman in Florida went to his local Burger King and was a little upset. Well, more than upset when they told him they were out of lemonade. That's right. And we were like, you know, when are we going to hear this? When are they going to release the 911 call? So he called 911 and got in trouble for it. Hello. Are you at Burger King? Yeah, I'm at Burger King, West Point Beach Boulevard.
Yeah, I don't have the address. What's going on there? I'm coming here to buy something. I press another. When I get there, I'm in the window. I tell the lady I want the lemonade, fake lemonade. He's saying you have... He's saying lemonade. No, he is. Yes, he is. No, he is. Yes, he is. We don't have the lemonade. I say, why you didn't say that to me before? Okay, now, are you in... I think I can unpack this for you, okay? Please. Sounds like dude ordered a lemonade, and when he got to the window, she had to inform him we don't have any. Yes. And he wants to know, well, why didn't you say that? Yeah, when I was ordering. When I was ordering it. Right. I'm in, or are you inside the store? I'm in, you're driving. All right. Are you blocking the customer? No. She says she's going to make me stay here for 15 minutes. That's what she says. Okay. Before she gives me the food. Okay. If the food's not done, sir, the food's not done. The food is done. The food is done. She says she's going to make me stay here for 15 minutes because I'm talking too much with her. That's what she says. I come from work. I'm hungry. I come over here to buy something.
What is the accent, by the way? Do we know? It's some sort of Middle Eastern. Is it Middle Eastern? I don't know. Trinidad. It's like Western. West Indies. Africa. British. Yes. Australian. What's your name? Western Bacon Cheese. Yes, it's Western Bacon Cheese. I hear that. Is there anybody listening that knows the accent? From the window. The 911 operator is now instructing. You're not the boss of me, 911 operator. She's instructing somebody in a drive-thru. Now, Mike, I've been through this kind of situation before. Stop talking about it, Eddie. I'm not talking about my Burger King situation. I worked the drive-thru at McDonald's when I was a kid. You're very well-rounded. Oh, man, I had very irate customers act like this, foolish. And I actually had a guy throw fries at me one time. In your face? In my face. Unbelievable. Please call 911 because you're unhappy with your burger, okay? Do you understand? This is not about burgers. This is about lemonade. If it takes 15 minutes to cook, it takes 15 minutes to cook, okay? You don't need to call 911. Fantastic. That's unbelievable.
We are now getting calls from people that are calling to tell us what the accent is. P1 Ryan. Hey, how's it going? Good. How you doing? Pretty good. Just working. What do you think that accent is? Oh, that's definitely Haitian. I used to live in Orlando. Uh-huh. And yeah, that dude's definitely Haitian. You can tell... I'm not racist or anything. No, no, no, no. Listen. I wondered where it was from. I wondered where it was from. You're saying it's Haitian. It's Florida, right? Yeah. Yeah. Thank you, dude. Yeah, no problem, man. You identified it immediately. And who knows? I mean, maybe in Haiti. You're allowed to call 911. For lack of lemonade. When your lemonade order does not come in right. Yep, happens. Scott hung up, but he was saying West African. Hmm. Well. So there that is. I'm sticking with it. Welcome back to the show. It is 9-0-4. And what if we did some of this? Now. Now. Now. Now.
With the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Well, before we get into the big interview yesterday with Alex Rodriguez admitting he took steroids, there actually was other things that happened in sports yesterday. I know, it's crazy. Really? Yeah. Sports happened? Yeah. This story I find very interesting. Ben Roethlisberger claims to have played the Super Bowl with two broken ribs. Oh, what? The Steelers say... They have no idea what he's talking about. What? What? What is this? I don't know. Ben made this big proclamation that, yeah, you know, actually I had an x-ray and I had two broken ribs and I played in the Super Bowl. And I think everybody was like, wow, that's pretty impressive. Right, right. Then they asked the Steelers organization about it and they're like, uh, what? He did? Yeah, I mean, now. I'm guessing if he says that, it means that the Steelers would have been the ones that gave him the x-ray, right? I would think so. Yeah. I don't think he's going to his, you know, HMO plan. Yeah, exactly. Paying the co-pay. Yeah. I mean, they have that equipment there. Right. So that's a weird, interesting story. Where does he claim he got his ribs broken in the last game? Probably when he, remember when he initially got injured?
Yeah, and a motorcycle. He was on a motorcycle. Oh, I remember that one. Yeah, I remember. That was crazy. And I was like, whoa. I'm going to call 911. So, yeah, I'm guessing that's when he did it. Well, I don't know. That's a weird story. It is official. The Cowboys officially released Pac-Man Jones, who is now a free agent. Anybody can sign him. Hey, we knew it was going to happen. We should sign him. Well, I think that Deja Vu actually right now has the rights to him. Cheetahs is working. Yeah, that's right. Trying to... Right. He's a free agent now. Now that he's a free agent, they really want to get him. Heavily recruited by lips, I think. That's right. That's right. That's different, Rob. Rob, you need to get out more. I like a description. Well, he does. I like a description. Okay, that's fine. Now, another crazy story. One of our favorites, Plaxico Burris.
Dude, this is unbelievable. This is even before all the shenanigans with his shooting incident. What did he do again? This is before? This is before? Before he shot himself. Before the butter gun. Yeah, before the butter gun. Just be technical. Flax has been sued at least nine times for unpaid debts. Are you serious? Yes. Oh, man. So, like, he had a home inspection that was quoted for, it cost him 500 bucks. Didn't pay it. He had to be sued for it. He was in a car accident where he rear-ended somebody and didn't pay for any damages that were done with that. He had to be sued for that. Just like several things that he's been busted on that he just wouldn't pay. And he actually had to go to court and people sued him. Plaques. He is dynamic. Maybe he doesn't have the money. Yeah, because he's completely right. Makes like $17 million. What? Yeah. What a waste of taxpayer money for those court trials. Thank you, President Obama. All right, let's get into it. Everyone wants to hear about A-Rod. Let's do this. Let's dive in. Yesterday on ESPN, A-Rod was interviewed, and he admitted to taking illegal performance-enhancing drugs back in the days when he was playing with the Texas Rangers in 2001, 2002, and 2003. Here he is explaining.
a little bit about it. When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me and I needed to perform and perform at a high level every day. Back then it was a different culture. It was very loose. I was young. I was stupid. I was naive. And I wanted to prove to everyone that I was worth being one of the greatest players of all time. Well, that's what he's saying. I mean, at least he's apologizing. It's definitely not of the Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds mold where they're proclaiming their innocence and fighting it all the way to the courts and all that stuff. And so that I appreciate. I appreciate, listen, this is the Euro we were in. You know, everybody was doing it. I made a mistake. I went along with them, and I did it, too. I appreciate that. But at the same time, at the same time. There is no at the same time. I'm fine with my statement. Wait. Rob wants to add to your statement. I'm done. Period. Oh, well, I didn't even know that. Here's Alex Rodriguez explaining why he stopped using performance-enhancing drugs. When did you get the wake-up call?
It wasn't until 2003. I was laying in my bed in Surprise, Arizona. Surprise, Arizona? Surprise! Is he making a joke? You're in Arizona. Yeah. Weird. We were doing a team conditioning down by the pool in Arizona. And I suffered a very serious neck injury that went all the way down to my spine. And it wasn't, I missed about two and a half weeks of spring training. And I was scared that I was going to miss time. I also had a streak of about 400 games consecutive played, or 300, I'm not sure what the number was. But it was at that point in bed that I realized, what am I doing? Not only am I going to hurt my baseball career, but I'm going to hurt my post-career. And it was time to grow up, stop being selfish, stop being stupid, and take control of whatever you're ingesting. And for that, I couldn't be... I couldn't feel more regret and feel more sorry because I have so much respect for this game and, you know, the people that follow us and respect me. And I have millions of fans out there that are, you know, whenever look at me the same. That's an interesting way to phrase it, too, because you said it really made him question whatever he was ingesting.
Which is, you know, I mean, I guess that could also be a word that you would use if you were shooting your butt with a syringe. That's where you got to shoot yourself with it, right? He requested that. I just saw a documentary called The Wrestler, dude. And in it, Randy the Ram Robinson. He's just a piece of it. Go, Mike. He shot himself up in his tush. Oh, well, he's a piece of it. I heard that A-Rod just, he requested. A-Rod. In the buttocks. Rob, shut up. Is it possible? You're so dumb. Do you take steroids in pill form? Do they do that? You can? And if he did, then Derek Jeter spoon-fed him. No, you're right. Derek Jeter may have done that. This is very possible. Very, very possible. So, again, the question arises, does this hurt your legacy? Yeah. Will A-Rod be a Hall of Famer now? If he breaks Barry Bonds' record, does it count? Does it matter? I don't know. Big Poppy did it, too, it looks like. I mean, probably, right? I mean, we don't know for sure. No. No. The numbers don't. If you look at the numbers. If you look at the numbers. If you look at the numbers. I have some emails saying, look at the numbers. Yeah. Emails with the S. I got a text from three weeks ago that says, just check the numbers. You get no text. He does, too. He's going to blow. No. No. If you look at the numbers. It was the culture. And their games played. David Ortiz never did that.
So let me ask you, A-Rod, why did you deny it in 07 when you got interviewed by CBS? To be quite honest with you, the first time that I knew that I had failed a test 100% was when the lady from Sports Illustrated came into my gym just a few days ago and told me, you have failed the test. So Gene also didn't tell you that? Now, what's he saying? So I didn't know I took steroids until they came and said it. I didn't know you got caught. You know what I mean? Because in the Mitchell report, it says that he told all the players who failed drug tests in 2003. Gene was very specific in 2004. We had a meeting in September or August. Don't quote me the date, but he said there's a government list. There's 104 players in it. You might or might not have tested positive. At that point, I said, okay. That was five years ago. I never heard anything ever since. In my mind, I assumed that, okay, whatever I was experimenting with in Texas perhaps was okay. I'm okay. And in my mind, as I... Do you see what he's saying? Yeah. He's like, well, I didn't get busted. So I must be cool. And they said they tested me, so maybe it's because I'm Alex Rodriguez. Yeah. And they were like, hey, we'll kind of turn the other, you know, turn a blind eye. Yeah.
Because you're one of the biggest stars in baseball. So I was like, all right, I'll keep doing it. As I did my interview with CBS last year, I felt I haven't failed a test. I haven't done a steroid. And that was my belief, whether I wanted to. Come on, bro. You were doing so good. You were doing so good. Convince myself of that, or that's just where my mind was. I felt that it was important for me that all my years in New York have been clean. and I wanted just to move to the next chapter of my life. I actually would have been okay with him saying what I painted out. I actually would have been okay with him saying, I thought they were turning a blind eye because I'm Alex Rodriguez, and I'm a big-name player, and I thought, well, maybe they're letting me get away with this. And then when she asked me about it, I didn't want to tell the truth because I knew how bad it would look. And so I'm trying to convince myself. I sat there and I said, well, I didn't bust you with anything. Just say, you know. I'm taking these gorilla hormones, but I guess they're cool. Yeah. I'm two stories tall. Yeah. My forehead's the size of a protector. Peyton Manning. Rob, it's just an opportunity for you. I don't even know. It's a Peyton Manning's forehead. Did you see him on the pole pole?
I was like, oh, my God. Someone could bungee jump off that. Unreal. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Yeah. Rob, who could bungee jump off that? A lot of people. A lot. He could. A lot. He could. I would. But I'm scared of heights, so I'm not going to. Oh, gosh. That was ridiculous. Sorry. Very descriptive. Skye, is your hub weighed in on this stuff? Your hub is a Giants fan. He's not a Barry Bonds fan, right? Um, no, he, I'm not a Barry Bonds fan. He is. He digs him? So, you know, if I'm not, he's not. Oh, Rob. I just said I'm not, but he is. I know, but the joke was there. There were words that came out of my mouth. You wear the pants in the face. I know. I've never said that. That is not true. Rob, that is inappropriate, Eddie, and I was crying. He just spewed out of Rob's nose. Oh, yes. My goodness. No, my husband is kind of...
the thought, like, how Eddie had said, like, that was kind of the culture of baseball at the time. That's what, like, they were all doing. I don't like it, but I've come to accept it. Like, if they felt like they needed to compete at that time, that's what they needed to do to be able to compete. And I hope that it is cleaned up now and they don't do it anymore. That's where I'm at. I mean, I can't keep Barry Bonds, the all-time home run leader, out of the Hall of Fame. Like, that's just crazy to me. Yeah. How many, he hit, like, 70-something? What was the record? 76? 72? Yeah. That's crazy. In one season. Dude. You know. That is so insane. Because when you think about it, I mean, what was it back in the day before the age of steroids? Probably the record. Well, Babe Ruth had 61 for years. Dude. For a long time. I mean, years, years. Babe Ruth. And then Maguire broke it with 70. And then like two years later, Bonds broke it with 72. What? What would Babe Ruth have done if he'd been on steroids? Oh, man. That's crazy. Eating Yankee Stadium? Yes. Most likely. Most likely. Guy hit 61, Eddie? 61 with no roids. That's unreal. Okay. I got other stuff for you. I ain't even done. Oh, my gosh. Even done, y'all. Starbucks is going to give people coffee. Well, not give. Sell. They're going to start offering.

How about you, Sky? You don't know, right? I know because you told me what it is. It's the style of mustache. It is the style of mustache. Well, we have a list. Well, the ride is starting to improve out here slowly, but we've got a couple of things to be aware of here. There's a new accident still wrapping up northbound 15 at the 52, so use caution there as you come out of tears. Santa.
South 15, watch for a slowdown still hanging on out of Escondido from Auto Parkway down to Felicita. From there, you're good to go down the 15th stretch. Coaster ride's looking pretty awesome. South 5, just a brief slowdown at Manchester, and then you're on your way. On the northbound 5, there is a bit of a backup right around Nobel Drive up to Genesee still. And the north 805, still kind of crawling out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Eddie went to sleep train and got himself all dialed in. What'd you get, Eddie? Got one of them Seelies. Nice. Nice. Great. I love it. It kind of forms to your body, which I didn't realize. So you find a comfortable spot, you're good. Oh, dude. And sleep training is so cool that we bought a new bedroom set. Yeah. And the frame of the bedroom set is real high. Yeah. And so when you put the box spring and the mattress on there, it was like gigantic. Yeah. So the way the furniture set is set up. that it doesn't need a box spring. Right. So we just had the mattress laid in there. I'm like, well, now what am I going to do with this box spring? Right. I called up Sleep Train and said, hey, listen, I don't need the box spring anymore. What do I do with this thing? And they're like, oh, we'll come out and we'll pick it up and we'll give you a credit for it. Oh, my. Dude, you guys are amazing. And they did? Yeah, they're going to pick it up tomorrow. Dude, that's awesome.
Listen, there's no other place to go other than Sleep Train. You heard Eddie. I sleep on one. So go into a Sleep Train. They'll beat anybody else's price by 5%. Sleep Train's your ticket to a better night's sleep. The Mikey Show. The Mikey Moment. I was at the Grammys last night, and I'm full on Jonas Brothers now. Come on. Dude, I'm serious, man. I'm going to call Nick Jonas today. He's the best. I'm going to hit him up on his celly, dude. What? And I'm going to ask him if he wants to come party with me in Amsterdam. No, you'll kill him. He's not even 21. Eddie, I'm mad. Let me tell you, dude, I don't want this to get out to too many people because I don't want them to try to buy it. But the reason I'm going to Amsterdam is I found this killer painting of a paperclip stuck in a vintage bottle of Dr. Pepper. It's awesome. It's awesome. Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Yeah, dog. This guy has a cool singing voice. Yes, it is. Ladies and gentlemen, before we went to break, I said that I was going to tell you about Twitter. All right, now, if you go on MySpace or Facebook,
I think MySpace does it, too. The status updates? Do they? Yeah. Oh, yeah, they do. Do they do that? Yeah, yeah. I'm on Facebook. It's not as cool as Facebook. It's not as cool as Facebook. No. On Facebook. The wall. The wall. MySpace is the new booty call. No. No. Eddie is wiping his mouth with a napkin as he says it. Okay. You are so weird. Yeah, you are. That's why you are. What happened? There is a button on Facebook, and it's your status, and it says your name with the word is after it, and you just type in what you're doing. So right now, Sky would say, is being bored with Mike. She's not into this. She don't care about Facebook. Oh, please. Nothing we can do. She's against it. I know it. Which is ridiculous. I'm going to have my brother. Make one? Help me make one, I think.
this week. You're going to have one? Me, yeah. Your own? Yeah. Oh, dude. No, I can't, dude. Because my brother Al was telling me, you just go to the website, put in your email, they send you something. It's really easy. And I've tried it and I've gotten no confirmation. Just like the website froze once. I've had trouble. Yeah, it's been like weird stuff happening. Here we go. Oh, boy. He's going to sit down with me. Maybe today if I have time. Sounds difficult. Come on. Well, you know that the concept of the status has its own website called Twittering. Wait. Twitter. Isn't status has a website? No, no, no. The concept of the status, the concept of telling people what your current status is, they have a website called Twitter that does just that exclusively. Wasn't that a character on Three's Company? I think so. It was Jack Twitter. Jack Twitter. And he lived with the two girls. Pretend to be gay. That's right. Pretend to be gay. But you go on Twitter and you get about 150 words to tell people what you're doing right then. And that's its sole purpose? That's its sole purpose. And, you know, hey, Quimby. Yeah. You're on Twitter, right? Oh, yeah. I don't. Listen, I know some people that absolutely love Twitter and I don't get it enough to use it enough. Like, I don't know. Like, you follow me, right? Yeah. And that's what it's called. Like, if you want to. If you like.
You can follow somebody. So if Sky and Eddie were on Twitter, I could add them and I could see what they're doing all the time. So you have to constantly update what you're doing. You don't have to. Like I do it like once a week or once every two weeks. But some people do it like a billion times a day. Yeah, like our church pastor. Yeah, he does it all the time. See, I get annoyed by that on Facebook. Like when they're like, oh, it's the mundane stuff that annoys me. I'm going to the grocery store. Really? Good for you. I love it. Let me comment on that. Get me Coco Pebbles. I'll say it. I'm one of the nerds that loves it when I read that Eddie's going to the grocery store. Really? I imagine him going to the grocery store. I'm interested. I'm like, I wonder what. I really do. What am I wearing? I do. Bye. You know, I really do. I'm always interested in that stuff. Yeah, I'm not. Well, apparently, that's what it's for. You know, people apparently dig it. And so, but I don't really understand, Quim. What's there not to understand? I don't understand. Can people follow you without your permission? Yeah, like, do you have to be friends? No, no, no, no, no. Like, it'll put... Skye, could you... I dabbled.
Because Sky's got a list of the top Twitterers. I know who number one is. Top celebrity Twitterers. Macy Gray. Macy Gray. Beautiful. Spoken. Could be Clive Owen. It could be. Mike Seaver. That's not even a real person. Yeah, that was his character's name. Okay. I thought that was a documentary. Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince. What? Bob Uecker. Charles Nelson Romney. Candy Lowenbrough. Oh, yeah. Too soon. Too soon? Too soon? Who, Sky? What do you got? How many? Mitt Romney. I got, let's see, I got 11 here. Obama. Wilson the Volleyball. No. Obama. How rad would it be if Obama Twittered? Well, he does. I think he does. Remember with that news story that his Twitter account got hacked? That's rad. Dude, I want to know what Obama's doing all the time. Like, just got out of a meeting about blah, blah, blah. Like, how rad would that be? Yeah, here's the code to our security defense. Yeah, exactly. I want him working, not twittering. He's like, oh, no, just found out we're about to get nuked. Everybody heads up. On Tuesday, blah, blah, blah. About to bomb Afghanistan. Oh, no.
Holy cow. Okay, so number 11 is Demi Moore with about 18,000 followers. I guess they call them followers. And a recent Twitter was in regards to her husband, Ashton Kutcher, saying you make me smile. Why did I marry this guy? You make me smile. Number 10. So if we're saying on the air, if we're saying that I'm on Twitter, does that mean that people can just go on there? Can you add them? like you do on Facebook, like you confirm them? I don't think you need to. So I can just look you up and I can follow you. Dude, I think that's how it goes. I think that's how it goes. That's a little much. Why didn't you call me? Well, I would like to. Sean, you jerk. Like, I'd like to follow a couple of people. Like celebrities? Yeah, if you're a fan of somebody, like I love Paul Thomas Anderson movies, I'd like to see what that dude's doing throughout his day. He's, you know, director in Hollywood. Just got out of a meeting with Tandy Lowenbrough. Oh, man. That'd be cool. Number 10 is Russell Brand. He recently wrote, I'm going to bed now. This milking has entered a new desert storm style phase and I'm losing a lot of blood. Tell mother I love her. Night. Who is that?
That dude from Forgetting Sarah Marshall played like the crazy... British rock dude. Boyfriend. Dave Matthews is number nine with about 27,000 followers. 27,000 people follow him? His recent tweet was, I wonder if a snail farts smell. If you're close enough to smell the snail, I wonder if you can smell something so tiny. So high. So high. Rob, number eight. Wait, wait, wait. Danny Ramirez. Oh. Question, Sky. Yes. Would you follow Dave? Wouldn't you want to know what he was doing? I think it would be interesting to read. To know? It's all weed stuff. Yeah. I mean, every single thing. You don't know that. Oh, please. Every single thing he talks about. His followers are all high. You don't know that. I do know it. We know it. Okay. Rob, number eight. Jimmy Fallon. Oh, the best. That's your favorite. People love him, Rob. He's so funny. He's really a funny comedian. I cannot wait for his show. He's a brilliant actor, comedically. You don't mean that. I do mean it. So good. With about 30.
Thousand followers. He recently wrote, want to take some Twitter cues to the roots today. Anything you want to know about them or late night? Don't even get it. What? Anybody's listening, by the way, that can call in and thoroughly explain Twitter to us. Please do. Number seven is MC Hammer with about 38,000 followers. You can't touch this. He recently wrote. Did they invent this in 1990? He recently wrote. She's reading the list in 1990. Number four, Vanilla Ice. That's crazy. Color me bad. This was a long January just in the last two weeks. L.A. three times, D.C., Miami, New Orleans, San Francisco, Tampa, Oakland. Number three, L.A. long. And then he says breathe again. Or Hill Street Blues. Dude, I want to know. Okay, people are calling. Call us right now. 570-1053. If you can explain Twitter. And if you know, like, if you have to approve somebody. Or if we can just follow MC Hammer if we want to. Follow his tweets. Number six is Ashton Kutcher with 44,000 followers. He recently wrote, poor man.
He was hard at work, minding his own business, got slightly upset with someone, and now the whole world has to know about it. Referring to Christian Bale, of course. Number five. Thank you for explaining that. I would subscribe to Skye's tweets. Oh, that sounds weird. I would smell Skye's tweets. I'd like to subscribe to those right now. No, I want to read Skye's tweets. I want to know what she would be saying. Like, what would that be about? It'd be about cats. A lot of cats. A lot of cat things. Everything cats. Yeah. Number five is actor John Cleese. You guys know him. Fish called Wanda. So, obviously, it sounds like they do something to attract it. They're obviously doing that. Otherwise, MC Hammer and John Cleese wouldn't be on the list. So, his recent tweet was... I'm almost dead, but nonetheless invigorated by the flush of groundbreaking liberal electoral success. Number four is Rick Sanchez, who is a CNN anchor. Number three is Shaq. About 50,000 people. Say it ain't so what I'm reading about Michael Phelps. Is this real? Wait, we have Shaq here. Oh.
Shaq's with us. Hey, Shaq, how are you? Shaq, how you doing? What are you up to, man? What did you say, Shaq? Shaq, come on. Hey, Shaq, do you have a question for Shaq? Why don't you sound like me? Wow. It's normal Shaq talking to drunk Shaq. You can hardly tell the difference. Yes. Okay, and the last one, Sky. Well, number two, Lance Armstrong, about 60,000 followers. He recently wrote, this was a couple days ago. Where's my ball? Oh. Okay. Eddie. What the? It's a legitimate.
Goodness. It is. He put that on his tweet. Wouldn't you be interested? Oh, I'd follow it. I would. I don't think he'd tweet that. Yeah, he did say something kind of similar. He said, good morning. Today is World Cancer Day. Make it a good one. Almost the same. We knew what you meant, Eddie. We knew what you meant. Wow. You're welcome. And number one, the number one celebrity Twitterer is. No. Is Britney Spears with about 62,000 followers. She recently wrote, hung out by the pool yesterday, checked out some sketches of costumes for the tour, and rented Pride and Glory. The costumes are crazy. That movie was terrible. If you're into Britney Spears, I'm sure that is very interesting. If you're not, then you don't subscribe, and so you don't really care. P1 Danny. Yeah, what's up? Okay, so you can give me tweet information. Excuse me. Hall of Famer. Hall of Famer, Danny. P1 Danny, ladies and gentlemen. Let's do this. So, Danny, can you subscribe to anybody? Yes. And they don't have to, in order to follow them, they don't have to approve it? No, it's considered common courtesy to accept the other person once they start following you, though.
Okay, let me see that. He just lost me. In other words, if I start following you, Sky, you do get notified that I'm following you. You don't have any say in it, but you know that I'm following you. It's common courtesy for you at that point to follow me. Right. So, Danny, if you're a stalker, say, and I know that you're following me, can I get rid of you? Yeah, you can block people. Oh, okay. Yeah. The whole... concept to me is still just either too much time on your hands or just creepy. Really? Rob hates like new stuff. No, he hates, he does. He hates technology. He hates, he's a guy that goes into the bank to pay his, you know, to get. I'm old school. I see what he's saying though. But whatever happens like now, like say you're a Twitterer, you're a Facebooker, blah, blah, blah. You get to, you finally go out to lunch with your friend. What do you talk about? You know every single second of that person's day. You know what? It gives you new things to talk about. You say, hey, I read the other day you were at, you know, blah, blah, blah. And I'd be like, well, first of all, that could never happen because I just wouldn't be on there. Hey, dude, I read on Facebook the other day you wrote that you were out at, you know, hanging out with...
I don't know, the guy that invented buns of steel. What's up with that? Are you working on a new video? Oh, we were. He let the cat out. You're like, yeah, well, you know, now that you bring it up, yeah, I'm working on my buns. But you know what I'm saying? Like, it keeps you more in touch with your friends. Or does it? I read something great on the Facebook the other day from... Thank you, Danny. Thank you for explaining that. I appreciate it, bro. I read something on there from P1 Meredith. She was talking about something here in San Diego I've never heard of. And I might say this and you guys go, you've never heard of that? The Green Flash? Yeah, I've heard of the Green Flash. Never heard of it in my life. What is it? I don't know. I think I have. Never heard of it, Sky? Does it have to do with the ocean? Yeah, you see it out when the sun sets. There's all of a sudden this... Green Flash. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Never heard of it. It was a radio station in 92.5. No, that was just The Flash. The Flash. Oh, man. I feel like an idiot. Ashley, have you ever heard of it? No. Never heard of it. It's, I guess, some phenomenon that has to do with, like, the horizon and lights. How about that, huh? I never know. Thank you, Facebook. Thank you, Facebook. Oh, wow. Amazing.
You know what? Yeah, all over your Facebook. Wow, I feel dumb because I heard about it talking face-to-face. Wow. For you. You're so primitive with your communication of face-to-face talking. Do you know how, too, with these things, like little fads start within the Facebook community? Like a couple of fads going on right now. One of them is for guys to say that they ended their relationship with another guy friend of theirs, which is hysterical. It makes me laugh every time I read it because you can update your relationship status, single, married. And whenever you break up with somebody or whenever you start dating somebody, you you see it. Your friends see it like that. I mean, and it's weird because all of a sudden somebody will go from being it'll say, you know, Ann Miller. went from being single to in a relationship. And you're like, oh, wow, check Ann out. She's out there getting it. Losey. Losey, goosey. So now the deal is, you know, it would be like B-Rob is now listed as out of a relationship with Eddie. That's the greatest thing ever. What are the other fads going on? The other one is the 25 most random things about me, which I love reading those.
I love it because I find out so much stuff about my friends. People just write 25 random facts. I put some stuff on mine that I don't think I've ever said on the air. Not that they're super bad. They're just random facts. And as I sit here, I'm like, I want to know 25 random facts about Skye. I want to see what her 25 random facts would be. I want to know what B-Rob's would be. I want to know what Ashley's would be. Eddie's. I want to know. Not mine. Everybody's but Eddie's. I want to know. I want to read all of you. I don't know why I'm so interested. You're not the only one. I'm not the only one. Okay, so Eddie Murphy was ordered to pay Scary Spice a bunch of dough. Finally. About time. He had a baby with Scary Spice. Yeah, the baby is almost two years old now. And finally, the court ordered him to step up. He still hasn't seen the baby yet, even though that's a different woman. Old Spice. Old Spice? Nope. It could have been Benjamin Button. You never know. Think about it. So now that the DNA tests are in confirm that, yes, this is his daughter, he's been ordered to pay Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice, more than $50,000 a month. Oh, my God.
A month. 50 grand a month. Until his daughter is 18 years old. Oh, man. Who's on the phone? It's a daddy mercy. Hello? Oh, hi, guys. It's Barbara. Hi, Barbara. How are you guys? What are you doing? Well, I'm calling in because I'm a black woman, first of all, as you guys know. And I was just walking around the pad here in Rancho Santa Fe that I got in the divorce. Is that right? And I just thought that I would give you guys a call because I heard you talking about Eddie Murphy this morning. Oh, yeah. What do you think about that? It's a crazy story. Well, let me tell you something, Eddie. And I can tell you this straight from the street, okay? From the street. That's right. The Rancho Santa Fe Street? That's correct, but it's the rough side of Rancho Santa Fe. First time my baby's daddy pulled the old get up and go, mama bought herself a nine. Yadig! What the heck? Now, of course, I'm talking about nine yards of yarn from Michael's, but still, I was upset. I was still upset. Not as hard as I thought.
Eddie Murphy should be ordered to pay me $50,000 a month because I saw Pluto Nash. How about that? That's a great point. That's the best point you've ever made. Thank you. Thank you. I have to say about him, just as an actor, I saw him protect Dakota Fanning in Man on Fire, and I was delighted. I was really delighted. And he was touching in the hurricane. That's Denzel Washington. And when he drove Miss Daisy, I thought, I thought dot, dot, dot. Yes, hello. You're confusing. Eddie? Yes. Let me tell you something, okay? Okay, sister. I'm still waiting for my baby's daddy to come through. Now, listen here, Denzel. Denzel, I'm talking to you right now. That's your baby's daddy. Pay mama her money. You know what I'm saying? Mama got to get paid. Don't make mama come over there with her Glock. Oh, no. Did I mention I'm a black woman? Yes, you did.
I don't know why you are. $50,000, you guys. A month. A month. If I had that kind of money, I could finally open up that chicken and waffles place I've been always wanting to open. Let me tell you something. That is so stupid. It is the truth. It is the truth. Girl, Eddie, that's right. Sing it. Sing it. Don't break it. I'm not going to sing it. I'm going to call Eddie Murphy and see if he'll take me out. Mama got to get it. We heard that already, Barbara. Stop saying that. Let me tell you something. Yes. Let me talk about Scary Spice for a minute here, okay? Please do. Her and I have the same her addresses. Really? Is that right? And his name is Alfredo. Oh. That's weird. And one day, we was getting our hair as weaves did. Okay. I don't. Right, right. Me and Scary Spice, okay? Uh-huh. And we were talking about child support, right? And she was saying how she was going to get 50 skrizzles from Eddie Murphy. And I was all, girl, you'd be so lucky. I can barely get two grand out of my old man. And she's all, girl, who you old man? And I was all Snoop Dizzle. And she'd be like, damn. Okay, Barbara.
We get it. Snoop Gizzle. Right. It is so hard for me to keep track of all my babies' daddies. Is that right? Really? You have a lot? I have 14. Really? Wow. And I have 14 kids, too. Oh, wow. Wow. So you have 14 babies' daddies and 14 kids? That's right. Last ones came in eight, Eddie. Wait. I know. I know. Octopla. Octopla. No, that's that other lady. Octopla. Barbara, it was me. You're just trying to get attention. It's just too much trying to track down 14 babies daddies, Eddie. You know what I mean? No, first of all, you just said they were octuplets, so why would they be 14? Okay, Eddie, let me change my story. Are you ready? Yes. I'm about to switch gears on you. Here we go. I'm about to switch gears on you. You're slurring a little bit. Just a little. What? I didn't even understand you. You guys. Yes, Barbara. My name is Barbara, and I have three kids that I know of. I think there might be another one or two hiding somewhere in the house, but I'm too lazy to check. Anyways, I'm pretty sure that the father of one of them is Bill Bellamy. Am I slurring? Can you hear me? Really? I'm pretty sure the other one's father's.
Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince. I think. I think. That's weird. That reference was brought up earlier today. It was. It was. It was. Two mentions of Uncle Phil in one day. That's a little odd. That is weird. Maybe it was Uncle Phil from the TV show, Uncle Phil. You know, the guy that came from Oprah, right? You know how Uncle Phil, he's like, you know, get real. You should stop. You should stop, right? And then, I'm not too sure about this one over here. Yeah. But I think that Mr. Cooper from Hanging with Mr. Cooper is another one of the fathers. Yeah, who was it? Who? That's who I made love to. You're not sure? I don't know. I'm just saying he looks like him. Okay, well. Scary, scary, scary. Oh, no, you're done. Oh, no, she's done. Hello. Hi, Barbara. Thank you for calling Barbara's Chicken and Waffles to help you. You guys. You guys, for real. Can you please? Scary Spice got ripped off. $50,000 a month. And it's like, that's only $600,000 a year if you add it up. Well, that's a lot. Let me tell you something. I tell all my sisters this. I say, she should have told Eddie Murphy.
If you like it, then you should have put a ring on it. And don't be mad at him, I want you to put a ring on it. And if you like it, then you should have put a ring on it. 105.3. Ooh, and they still did that for you? Absolutely. Nice. See, that's a great thing. I cannot thank you enough. No, that's cool, dude. Don't thank me. Thank AIS, dude. Sometimes people, when they hear me talking about AIS so much. they don't realize that there are real people out there that are saving the dough, and you're one of them. Absolutely. We're good then, right? Yeah. I think... We did a lot today. We did a lot. I got a lot of stuff out there. Well, I do want to hear this. What do we got? Well, there's two. There's a couple things. Okay. Tell me about the new study that says that birds aren't flying south for the winter anymore because of global warming. Oh, no. Al Gore, get out of here. Seriously. This is a study that has nothing to do with Al Gore. Yeah, you made it up. Well, they're specifically saying that the worst case is the purple finch. Oh, no. Oh, no, dude. I've been telling people. Which has been spending its winters more than 400 miles. I heard the robin thick is really. No, that's not a bird. That's incredible. That's right. So the purple finch has been spending its winters more than 400 miles. The robin quiver, dude. It's crazy. It's a little black bird. Farther north than it used to be. And, of course, they're saying that this is because of global warming. Temperatures are warmer now. They say more than half of the bird species out there in North America are spending their winters about 35 miles further north than they did 40 years ago. It's not good. It's not good. If I were a bird, I would be an owl. What would you be, Sky? A bluebird? I don't. Eddie. I would be an eagle. What would you be, Ash?
I would be a love bird. Is that a real bird? Yes, I had them growing up. They're real birds? I would give you the bird. Rob, what would you be? The cuckoo, the Cocoa Puffs bird. I would be a Red Sock, Mike. Not a good sign, everyone. That should concern you. No good. 570-1053 is our phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. Not too much. I was thinking that Sky would be a ham hock. No! There you go, Sky. That's not a bird. Would you be a ham hawk? That's not a bird. Ridiculous. P1 snapper. Hello? What's going on? Hey, I got a question. Barack Obama said something pretty interesting I saw yesterday. Would you guys be able to pull the clip of him saying there's no such thing as a free lunch? Oh! Did he say that? Yeah, he definitely said that. Well, obviously he's lying. Just ask Skye, right? They obviously exist. I'm sorry. There's obviously such a thing. Buy your own fries. Thank you very much. Right, Barack? Buy your own damn fries. Okay. We heard you the first time. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, this is P1 Skye. I was playing the P1 password.
And I'm wondering if you still got some NASCAR tickets. No, we gave away our only pair. We gave away our only pair just a minute ago. But don't worry, tomorrow we'll be giving away some more of those. Mikey Show. Yeah, call and see if I can get a prayer request for a fallen motocross rider. For a fallen motocross rider? Yeah, freestyle motocross rider. Died over the weekend in Costa Rica. Jeremy Lusk. Is it a friend of yours? I think this was the same guy we sent out prayer requests for yesterday at the end of the show. Really? Costa Rica, the motocross rider. Yeah. Yeah, he's a local rider out of El Cone, Jeremy Lesk. He's a local boy down there. What happened? He was just trying to backflip some wind, got to him, backflip a real, real technical trick, and unfortunately got the best of him. Backflip, Indian air seat grab, and that's just the nature of the beast. That's sad, man. That sucks, dude. Yeah. Yeah, we definitely will. I appreciate the phone call, man.
All right, thank you. Thank you, brother. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey, this is P1 Rich in South A. What's up?
