The episode kicked off with Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Ashley and Boston Rob plugging Boston Rob's silly Cupid Valentine e‑cards on MikeyShow.com. They then dove into a mix of off‑beat news, from the viral Sam the koala photo and the ensuing TMZ apology, to a heated debate about Brett Favre’s retirement and whether it was a publicity stunt. The crew also dissected the middle‑school sexting scare, the satellite collision over Siberia, and Joaquin Phoenix’s odd Letterman performance, while Ashley’s emotional cat‑surgery story sparked the ‘Drama Queen’ song and a round of self‑referential humor.

Satellite collision
The crew talks about the U.S. and Russian communications satellites that collided over Siberia, creating debris and sparking jokes about the Russian satellite being out of control.
Middle school sexting warning
The show highlights a local middle school's notice to parents about sexting, explaining how sending nude photos can be treated as child pornography.
Brett Favre retirement debate
Eddie and the crew argue whether Brett Favre's retirement from the Jets is genuine or a hot-button stunt for attention.
Sam the koala story
They discuss the viral photo of Sam the koala receiving bottled water from a firefighter during Australian wildfires and the TMZ joke that sparked an apology.
Joaquin Phoenix on Letterman
They replay Joaquin Phoenix's bizarre Letterman appearance, debating whether his beard, sunglasses and rap performance are a genuine career shift or an Andy Kaufman‑style bit.

Did you guys get your president's flags to fly? Yes. I forgot. You did. Eddie. When I went to the store originally, they were all out of George Bush. And I'm like, oh, man, there was like. Yeah, I don't think they made any of the problems. What? Yeah, I think they were like, no one's going to want that. So we shouldn't even bother. But he was the best president of all time. Oh, yeah. I'm here to tell you how much I love thee. It's Cupid with a cigarette dangling out of his mouth. One, I love thee more than Michael Jackson loves Emanuel Lewis.
Two. It's the worst Cupid outfit I've ever seen in my life. It's like homemade. Oh, dude. And he's got a sign on his chest that says, I'm with Cupid. Three. I love thee more than Frasier loves wicked intelligent lexicon. I love thee more than Christian Bale loves screaming. Please go look at these. This is unbelievable. Oh, they're fantastic. They're fantastic. route. So I want to tell you about those right out of the gate. I was like literally crying at my computer laughing so hard yesterday. This is so funny, man. There's five of them. So stupid. I only had a chance to see two and same thing. Just dying. Just crying laughing. I got to send my dad one. He's going to flip. Yeah. Rob's his favorite. Yeah. Send a picture or send one of these to the people that you love. Right. I will. This Valentine's Day. I mean, if you have a heart, you would. Yeah. Yeah, you want them to feel the loving kindness. I will never look at eternal flame the same way. I don't know what I'm talking about. That's the one my mom's getting first. Okay, I don't know if that's a good idea. 570-1053 is the phone number. P1 Tough, what's up? What's up, Mikey Show? What's going on, dude? First call out, always got to tell people, what's a P1? P1 is someone listens.
Consistently gets straight to the point, calls in, doesn't cuss, and sends other people on to the Mikey show. That is right, dude. I love it. What's going on? I just wanted to talk quick sports with the Oracle. Just trying to let you know, you know, with Ron Rivera and everyone, he's bringing all his coaches from Chicago. I wonder if Eddie thinks Brian Urlach would be a great free agent pickup. Wait a second. What is he saying? I don't know what sport he's even talking about. He's talking about football. Okay. Well, I don't know. Who are those people? He's talking about football. He's talking about Ron Rivera, the defensive coordinator for the Chargers. Okay. All right. Thank you. And so his question is, since Ron Rivera is the defensive coordinator, does Eddie think that San Diego will bring Brian Urlacher here? Now, is Brian Urlacher, P1 Tough, is Brian Urlacher a free agent?
Yeah, he's going to be on the block. When? February 27th, when they can start signing free agents, I believe. I had not heard that Brian Erlacher was going to be a free agent and out on the free agent market. That's the deal? Yeah, I'm pretty sure him, Brian Dawkins, safety, that'd be a great pickup. Well, wait a minute. Are you just naming great players? Well, hey, we got to pay money, man. We need to help that defense out. We need to pick someone up. Well, if they're already on a team, though, you can't just take them. You can't? Mm-mm. You can't just take them. You're not allowed to just take players. You don't know, Mike. You don't know. Well, then what about, why don't we just get Paul Amalu? Oh, I love that. That would be great. Yeah, and Fitzy. Yeah, Brian Urlacher's not a free agent. Really? No. Ray Lewis is a free agent. Terrell Suggs. Can we get Troy Palamalo? No, he's not a free agent. Can we get Larry Fitzgerald? I would like to, but no. Maybe Anquan Bolton. Why don't we have Adrian Peterson come here from the Minnesota Vikings and back up LT? Yeah, there you go. I love that idea. That'd be huge. What do you think? I like that idea. That's cool. I'm in with that. Dude, let's get Peyton Manning.
to back up, you know, Phillip Rivers. How about Brett Favre? Too soon. It's too soon, Sky. It's too soon. Well, he's quitting again. Too soon. Oh, Rob. Rob's hot button. You can make those all day long. What about Tom Brady? They don't want him. Yeah. Oh, we do want him. Oh, you want both? Yeah, we want both. Yes, they want Matt Castle and Tom Brady. I want everybody. Hey, listen, Tuff. I would love it, man. I'd love it, but I don't think he's available, my friend. All right. All right, guys. Have a good morning. Good thought. All right, you two, dude. Just go after him anyways. Be one, Scooby. Hey, where'd you guys get Eli Manning? I heard you, like. You're a jerk. That's just mean. That's just mean. You're a jerk. That's just mean. What's going on, Scoob? Hey, well, at least you guys would have won a Super Bowl right now. Anyway. Oh, my gosh. Oh, really? Why are you? So early. Hey, put away the hate ring. So early. Jerk. Wow. Such a hater. It's because your franchise is about to dissolve. That's right. Well, that's true. Anyway, I got to talk really quick. Skye, you're my girl. You know that, right? Yeah. You are really dramatic about Mr. Dito. Oh, her kitten.
I don't think we need to discuss this. Some people may not be in the loop. He's talking about the Ashley After Show. On MikeyShow.com. If you go to MikeyShow.com. It was an exclusive. We have a feature on MikeyShow.com where you can actually watch videos. Dude, we're putting videos every single day on our website. There's crazy stuff up there right now. You can go there and you can watch the Ashley After Show. And Ashley talks to a show member after every single show. And yesterday, apparently, she talked to Sky about her new cat. She bawled. You cried? She broke down and was bawling. That's not true. MikeyShow.com. You've got to see this. It was crazy. I think it deserves the drama queen song. I think you deserve it. Yeah. What's the problem with your cat? Well, she had surgery yesterday. She used to be a woman. Now she's a man. That's not how it works. That's what they do. Oh, no. No, she had her female surgery yesterday. Told you. I don't know what that is. It was a tough day. She was spayed. Oh, don't they do that like every day? Yeah.
Who does that? Do you do that every day? No, I'm not a vet. I'm not a vet. Well, then. Why are you yelling at me? I'm trying to support you. It was a rough day. It was a rough day yesterday. I do. I'm not going to lie. Well, Skye, just because someone has a procedure doesn't mean they're going to die. You don't know that. Well, her husband had a root canal last week. She was seriously like, I think he's dead. Is he okay? He almost did die. He passed out, and I almost had to call 911. So there. What? That is not a true statement. Are you serious? Yeah, it was crazy. The Friday night. Oh, that's right. He did do some strange behavior. That's insane. I don't think they're related, though. I think that they may be not related. See, my family has a tough time with the surgeries. Oh, my God. You are really something else. And I don't know what the else is. Did you see my yesterday email to you about Dito and her little surgery? Do you even care? Is she dead? I'll read it. It was not easy. Is she dead? It was tough on the whole family. Is she dead? Of course she isn't dead. Why won't you answer me? Of course she isn't. Well, then what are we even talking about? I'll tell you, because they're a friend over here. I should like this money. I am not dramatic. Put Drama Queen up.
Put drama queen on it. It's a song. She even sings it herself. She sings about how dramatic she is. She said, this is Skye's yesterday email when she talks about what she did yesterday. She says, went to Pilates, picked up baby Dito from her surgery, came home to have her be a psycho kitten, making her stitches bleed, and then trying to kill me and make it look like suicide. What? Skye has a mark across her wrist that looks like she's trying to kill herself. Like Angelina Jolie in Girl Interrupted. This is just one of the many marks that I... Oh my gosh! Finally we had to lock her up for her own good. Oh my gosh! Well, we've said it a million times. Cats are always trying to off their owners. They're evil. It was a rough one. They're not! Yesterday, we heard this big, loud sound outside of our bedroom door, so we opened the door, and there's Sydney, and Sydney goes... And I said out loud, I go, this is my house. You're living under my room. That's right. You don't own me. Please leave the house. Can you just leave? Please leave. Please. Thank you. It's a rough one, okay?
That's tough. Unreal. That's crazy. Oh, man. Psychopath. Who freaks out and runs around the house after you have surgery like that? I don't know. To lock her up. P1 Big Brown. P1 Big John. Big John, what's up? I have a legitimate question for a drama queen. Go ahead. What happens if there's no rain business? As of the weather report yesterday, there was a 20% chance of sprinkling this morning. Whatever, Lauren Mancaro. That's right. I'm just saying. Did you say we weren't getting any more rain earlier, though? Well, I said not until the weekend were we going to get substantial rain. Oh. There was a 20% chance. There was a 20% chance of substantial rain. But that means 80% chance that we weren't going to get rain. So I played the odds, bro. What about the 20%? I played the odds. Oh, bad odds. Rob sleeps outside. Yeah. I need a specific time so I can set my alarm and go under nine. Because I trusted you. Oh, I was here. You did. I'm sure. I'm sure.
You did. Just send a list of anything that got ruined in the rain. Because what I do is when Sky tells me it's sunny, I bring everything I own that's expensive outside. And I go, Sky said it's safe. Do you have Sky insurance? Of course I do. Ash, where's Dramica? There it is. If you can afford it, I'll tend to be the belt guy. I was almost murdered yesterday. No one cares. No one even cares. Are you kidding me? No one even cares. I care. Wow. I care. I'm feeling fresh. I'm feeling sexy and I'm feeling honey baked. And a one and a two and a one, two, three and I can dance. I am scar like interpretive jive. Look at me. Can't you see? I am the drama queen. I'm not apologizing for my behavior because I was really sick. I was throwing up here. I went home. I was throwing up at home. Early morning and I'm on the show. She was almost murdered yesterday. Yes, that's right. Mispronouncement in the flow. We need to do a new mix of this. Man, I wish we played music and I didn't have to be.
Having to read and speak. I had just been conversating. It's conversating. The guys are making me want to cry. Life was better when I was. I don't know how I do it. Every single day, I really earn my pay. And if you didn't know. Don't forget. Wow. Ramsey, fire up mams. It's that time of the morning sunburned. I think I need to call mother. It's me again. Yes, again. Yes, it's me. Will you come get me? I have a sunburn. No, of course I'm being serious. And you can take me to your place and we'll look for a water bottle. We'll put urine in it and it'll cure me. But call Kaiser first. Make sure that they're aware of this. Ramsey, get those blades moving. Come on, don't be so slow. Oh my goodness, I feel a headache coming on. I'm starting to hyperventilate. That's an oldy bit of goody. Ridiculous. My husband got a haircut yesterday. I hope he's okay.
I haven't heard from him. All right. That's stupid. The person's using scissors. Yes, around his head. It's very dangerous. It goes in his ear, punctures his brain. What if when they cut his hair, the hair hurts? What if? You stop it. What if they cut the hair off, it falls in his mouth, he drowns on his hair. Oh, no. He drowns on hair. Oh, it could happen. There are 45 hair drownings a year. Did you guys hear? I don't know if we're all going to agree on this or disagree on this, but did you hear about Salma Hayek in Africa feeding a baby with her breast?
Because she just recently had a baby. She has a one-year-old daughter who she still breastfeeds, so she's still producing milk. Yeah, and so she fed this baby, this baby that was hungry. Oh, my. Different. Yeah. Well, I don't know that we're all going to have the same opinion of this. I'm sure we will. There's only one opinion you can have on this. Thank you. There's only one. Okay, wait. I will agree with you guys. I will agree with you on this. It is crazy. Don't do this. Here's what I mean. It's shocking. It's different. I also, I can't help it. I think it's beautiful. She's helping a baby. That baby was like eating. But isn't there. Speak on it. But hold on a minute. Speak on it, Mike. But hold on a minute. I'm in agreement with you that, you know, she helped a child. Like, there's nothing wrong with that. Yeah.
But isn't there other methods to go about that? Couldn't she have pumped and got it a bottle and go, there you go? We're assuming that she was walking around with a pump. Well, you have to. You have to pump. If you're breastfeeding and you're not feeding... Well, didn't she have her kid? She didn't have her kid with him? I don't know. I'm assuming she probably... The only reason she was even able to have milk to give is because... Well, if she's been breastfeeding this whole time, she's producing milk. Yeah. And she could go away for a week. But it goes away. That breast milk goes away. Unless you pump. They say if you don't use it, you lose it. No, they don't say that. That's what they say. They don't say that. They do on me.com. Yeah, it's a bumper sticker. I'm uncomfortable with that. I think it's healthy and everything. That's what they call a wet nurse, you know. And I think it was a spontaneous, they call a wet nurse is when you have a lady that can produce milk giving a baby milk. But she's not actually feeding the baby, like, from her breast. I thought that was what a wet nurse was. That's a wet nurse? I think so, yeah. Really? Do they, like, do that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I thought. They get hired to have milk that they can give to another baby. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. No, that's right.
Yeah, Quimby, you heard that? Oh, wow. I had no idea. Well, here's the deal. I think that this was a spontaneous deal where she said, oh, my goodness, this child is in need, and boop, there's my boob. What a trick. And the whole thing was videoed. Yeah, so it's sensational. Yeah, it was filmed by a nightline. Nightline was following her around doing, like, this humanitarian thing in Africa. So, of course, the video's already on YouTube. Share media. pornographic or anything, but it does show a little over-the-shoulder action. But I'm with Mike. I think that's great. Now, did the baby that she fed have family? Yeah, the mother of that baby was unable to breastfeed. And was there permission given? I believe so. Or did she just grab a kid and go, here? I did not get the impression. You want to make it a combo meal? And a small, a small chocolate shake. Because I'm trying to watch my figure. Not a large, a small. Right. Well, I did not get the impression that there was anybody asked. It looked like she just went for it. Really? That would be really strange. Well, the picture I have of her holding the baby, a woman who I'm assuming is the mother is standing in the background. Here's an audio of the baby. Yes, please.
There it is. That's it. That was crazy, Mike. That is a very different story, Mike. It's super different. There's no doubt about it. You go, whoa. When I heard about it, that's what I said. Whoa. I was like, wow. Lucky kid. To each their own. Some people will spontaneously breastfeed. Really? Yes, really. Please. He won Caesar. What's up, Caesar? Caesar, are you there? Love your salad. That's right. Sometimes a little too fishy, depending on where you get it. I'm not going to lie. Caesar? Yeah, I'm not going to lie. Hi. Caesar, go ahead. Oh, yeah, no, I was just saying about, well, wet milk that a woman, they could breastfeed. I mean, they could pump the milk out, but they don't necessarily have to feed the baby straight from the breast. They could freeze that, deep freeze it right away, and it stays good for up to a year. Wow. And they could feed any baby with that. I was under the impression that you had info on a wet nurse. You do not, though, right? I'm sorry. No, no, that's okay. He's like, no, I just wanted to talk about breastfeeding. Yeah, it's breast milk, Mike. Yep.
I got an opinion. Thank you. Freeze it up, put it next to the TV dinner. That's right. Why not? All right. Just saying. All right. Did you guys hear that a couple of satellites, like, collided in space? That is awesome. What is that? My cable's okay, right? Yeah. Like, is it space big? How are they going to just run into each other? How did that happen? Not enough room up there? And if they're on a particular orbit that just is the same orbit all the time, don't they, like, figure that stuff out? It's Jack Bauer on the line. Something's going on. Please. Please. CPS device or whatever. Oh, the CPS, yeah. It's Jack Bauer. Female president. He's messing around. Kidnapped my husband. Oh, my gosh. Well, Skye, what happened? Do we even know what these satellites were for? Well, there were two communication satellites, and they crashed. Satellites. Hey, that's a beautiful song. It's a great song. You're welcome. Okay.
And they crashed over Siberia. I heard it was XM and Sirius, and they're combining the satellites. That's how they were going to try to save some money and do it that way. That's what I heard. They say that the collision created two large debris fields that could pose a slight risk to the International Space Station. But they say one of the satellites was launched in 1997 by a U.S. company, and the other one was launched in 1993. by Russia. And that one, the Russian one, was believed to be non-functioning and out of control. So that may answer your question, Mike, about if they're doing a specific orbit. So the Russian one, those Russians, crazy. Is that thing going to fall to Earth? Well, they believe it's going to burn up in the atmosphere before it gets here. But the U.S. satellite was one of a system of 65 satellites that relays calls from certain portable phones. And they say that one of the largest... It's a beautiful song. It's a beautiful song. A sky is one of...
Well, someone tried to murder me yesterday. I think that wouldn't upset you. You should let him go. So, Skye, what's the Grammy story with they snubbed the Dave Matthews band's founding members? Well, everybody knows. Everybody does not know. Everybody doesn't know. I haven't even said it yet. Whatever you're going to say, everybody doesn't know. Everybody doesn't know. Okay, what? You do know. That, unfortunately, in August of last year, their saxophonist, Leroy Moore, passed away. I don't know that. You do. We talked about it on the show. I don't pay attention. You are a pompous camp. Ashley, calm down. He died from health complications after a very bad ATV accident. That's very sad. So what was the snub? Well, so at the Grammy Awards, you know, they do one of those like tribute videos every year to great musicians that have passed away in, you know, that year. Yeah. And they left Leroy out.
Oh, so if there's multiple people that pass on, they will do like multiple. It's like a montage. Yeah, like a montage. It's a montage. They left him out of the montage. But it's all the biggest names. Yeah. So he didn't make the cut. Yeah, I know some guy from the E Street band passed away, right? The band, yeah. He's a Grammy Award winner. Yeah. Come on. It's one of the highest grossing touring bands in the country. He's like a. like he's a side guy. He's a saxophonist and he was a founding member. Who cares? I don't know. You know what? Let's hear some Scarlett Johansson music because this is really sad. Now if he would have put sax on this album I'd be like wow. Is that your saxophone impression? Really weird. No sax allowed. That should be your new motto, Rob. So the Grammys have issued a statement after receiving multiple complaints saying that they did include him in the program book. But unfortunately, they couldn't include everyone who passed away in the allotted time frame. That's fair. Well, that's just weird. That they did that? I know. They're the worst. They're the worst, Mike. I agree with you. No way.
Let's tell you a little bit about today's show. And please go get one of those Valentine's videos right now. They're the best. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Those B-Rob Valentine's e-cards. That's what we made. stuff in the house every day. You know, you have to call your possessions, claim your territory. Like if you got it from your chair to make a sandwich, you had to claim it. You know, I call that chair. That's what we would do. I call that chair. It's my chair. I call that chair. Hey, when I get back, that's mine because I call it. I call that chair. I didn't realize this only worked at home. I thought this was a universal system, you know. My first day in school was very strange. I call this desk. I call this desk. My teacher's like, yes, we all do, Brian. I'm like, just grabbing onto it. I don't know why we did it at home anyway, because my older brothers always took whatever they wanted. Like when we were all getting in the car, I knew where I was going to end up sitting. So I would pretend like I wanted that. Backseat in the middle, my feet on the hump. I called it. Get out the hump. Hey, I believe the hump is mine. I think my parents were kind of worried about me. He's calling the hump, Walt. He shouldn't want the hump. As long as he ain't fighting. Hump's good. Right around. Oh, the hump's good. Yeah. You like the hump. I love the hump. I'm the hump boy. Check it out. The Mikey Show. You guys are just such a great force.

Get a sweet deal on a new Accord, Civic, or CRV, now through February 15th. Buck 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Well, traffic's not too bad out here. We do have one accident here in the East County, southbound 67, just before Vigilante Road. Somebody smacked the center-divide wall there, so use some caution. Another accident still wrapping up on the South 805 here, just before the eight freeways. You come down the hill, so watch for that as well.
A few brake lights out of Escondido developing in the South 15 now from the 78s down towards Felicita. And then you're pretty much on your way. And it's busy getting into Coronado. You've got to back up on that bridge. So watch for the brake lights coming off the 5 onto the bridge right now. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, is this Todd? Yes. Todd wrote me an email. Tell everybody what you wrote me in the email. Mikey, I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Cunningham pillow top over at Sleep Train two weeks ago. And it was just an amazing experience. gave me 10% off before he even knew I was in there for the Mikey show. And then I used the Ace card and said, oh, Mikey told me to come in, and I got an additional 10. So all in all, I saved 20% on the mattress. And I bought it at Mission Valley at 11 o'clock. They had it delivered and installed in Chula Vista by 2.30 on the same day. That's rad. And what's even more amazing, since it was a Cunningham pillow top, it was personally... personally delivered by Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber. It was just an amazing experience. That's awesome. Hey, how do you like sleeping on it? It's amazing. I've never had any problems sleeping before, but with the new mattress, it's even better. It's completely amazing. I would recommend Sleep Train to all the P1s out there. And Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber delivered it.
Absolutely. You can definitely meet Richie and Potsy if you get the Cunningham pillow top. There you go. That's beautiful. Hey, dude, I appreciate it. Thank you for calling. Thanks, Mikey. We'll see you. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love it. Sky. I don't know anything. Boston Rob. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Now, with what's up in your world, this is The Mikey Show 360. Yeah, what's happening in your world? And don't try to trick us. Tell us the truth. All right? What's the hottest and what's out there right now? Well, first of all... I've been seeing it all over the local news. I looked up at the TV this morning. One of the big things they're talking about in San Diego is this middle school where they're warning parents of sexting. Now, Skye knows what it is because she's read the story. None of us know what it is. And she does it. All the time. I'm a big fan of sexting. So, Skye, what is sexting?
sexting is when you take a naked picture of yourself on your cell phone and then you text it to someone else. Are you serious? And middle schoolers are doing that? Yes. Get out. And you're a fan of that? I was joking, Rob. Yeah. Well, it's interesting that this was in the news because P1 Woobie, you know, she was our guest in the studio last Friday and we were talking. Ashley will never forget that appearance. I love Woobie. Yeah, I know. It's my girl. And we were talking during a commercial break and she was talking about, you know, because she has a younger son and how the kids and the texting is crazy and how that this is going on in her son's school as well. Dude, how old? About like, I think she said an instant. of one girl in the school who took like a picture message of her panties and then sent it to a boy. How old are these kids? Well, this is middle school here that this story is talking about. I never was a part of something called middle school. Like I guess some schools are called middle school. Like the school is actually called middle school. Elementary, middle. The only school I ever went to that had a name was junior high.
That's the only thing I ever had. Are they the same? Junior high. No, no. Junior high is... Older. So you're right about to go into high school. I thought it was the same thing. Junior high, seventh and eighth grade. Okay, I went to middle school, which was sixth through eighth. You got your preschool. You got your kinder. Then you got your... Elementary. Elementary. Maybe then you got your middle. Yeah, the middle is like... 5th and 6th. What? I went to middle school. It was 6th, 7th, and 8th. Yeah, same for me. 6th, 7th, and 8th. Junior high was 7th and 8th for me. Well, if middle school is 6th, 7th, and 8th, it doesn't surprise me too much because I remember that that's when girls were developing. That's when I was, you know, starting to notice the girls. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's a very... Cole Davis. What's up? Oh, wow. Eddie remembers the name. Meow. So, yeah, they've sent out letters warning parents that this is going on and, you know, that you should be keeping watch on your kids' phones and what they're doing. And then they also are saying that potentially this could be considered child pornography. Of course. Even though the kids themselves are sending these pictures, it's still sending an image of a naked minor. Right. And that's child pornography. So what does that mean? That the kid, like, let's say you get your kid a phone. Your kid's 12.
And some Yahoo at school sends him a picture of her panties. You're in trouble? Not panties. Naked. Naked. The person who sends and receives it could face criminal charges, yes. Well, they're not very smart. See, that screwed up because... You have no control. Yeah, you don't have, like, a block on your phone, you know? Yeah, but, like, say the FBI comes in and raids your house and you have, like, a child porn message somewhere. Well, obviously you should be deleting that. Yeah, but, you know, I don't know. What if it's your kid's phone? Well, you mean, could the parent be held responsible? Yeah. I don't know. They don't address that here in this article, but you never know. That's gnarly. Yeah, because if the phone account is under the parent's name. This guy just deleted that thing I just sent you. Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't realize. No, no, you're of age. No, I know, but it's still weird. Oh, okay. Yeah, it's weird because it's him, you know, and it's you. We work together. We're all of age, so I don't see what makes it weird. Fine, then you can keep it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Mikey. Oh, you're welcome. Well, there it is. It's just crazy.
We've got the weirdest stories in the news today. I'm telling you, I was going through the audio going, man, people are weird. Like, what about the Sports Illustrated cover model? Eddie, you know who I'm talking about? What's her name? It's like, she's got a real weird name like Hans Device or something. Hans Device? Yeah, it's like Hans Device. Bar Raphael, she is going to be the 2009 cover girl. I believe she was in the cantina scene in Star Wars. You stop it. You know who she is. I have no idea who she is. Really? I'll try to find you a picture. I want to say she's on the new Sports Illustrated swimsuit. Yeah, she's going to be on the new cover. She's been a swimsuit model for a while for them, but she actually gets the cover this year. Well, it's just weird because apparently she has stolen Leonardo DiCaprio away from Ashley. Sweet Leo? Yeah, sweet Leo. What? And, you know, even though, and he didn't probably tell you, Ash, because I know Ashley and Leo are good friends. Yeah. And so anyway, she was getting asked about it on Letterman.
Switch, by the way. Sorry, don't mean to switch gears too drastically. Joaquin Phoenix was on Letterman. Joaquin. Joaquin. Dude, something is up. How's he doing? Dude, not well. Not well. But anyway, totally different story that we will be getting to a little bit later. But anyway, so here's this Bar Rafael. This was shot in the Grenadines, is that right? This was shot in Canwen Island, which is beautiful. It's heaven. I went there actually for vacation several times. To go with Leo? Damn it. I'm sorry. Can I ask you how you met Leonardo? No, you cannot. I can't ask you how you met him. I mean, you can. I'm not going to respond. What is this? What is this? What is this voice from? Okay. Paraguay or Chile. Oh, she's gorgeous. Beautiful. A little something you picked up from our first guest. It's a reference to Joaquin. That is cute. Joaquin. It's one of those nights. The audition continues. Well, how did you, I bet it was some kind of a function, a celebrity function. You probably met him at a celebrity function. Oh, no, no. We were talking about Kenwin Island. He's not going to stop. I love it. I love it. So he's gorgeous. It's so beautiful, really. Like you should go.
I freaking love Dave. She don't want to talk about it. Why does it matter where they met? Thank you. Who cares? I would assume that they probably have an agreement as a couple not to talk about one another in the press. So they just won't address anything. E-Harmony. They probably met on E-Harmony. Yeah, for sure. Did you hear that Kenny Chesney's telling Playboy that he is not gay? Oh, finally. He's really telling them that he is not gay. You know who doesn't have to tell Playboy that they're not gay? If you have to tell Playboy that you're not gay, I didn't know that anybody thought that he... It was gay. There were rumors after his quick marriage to Renee. To Bill Stevens. To Renee Zellweger ended really quickly and then people started talking. Didn't she file and say it was false or fraud? Oh, that's right. That was the worst PR move she ever did to that guy. She could have spared him that one.
Yeah, so Kenny Chesney says, he basically says he slept with like over 100 women. Oh, come on. And they're all models. They're all out of the country. Yeah, I can't reach them right now. But they'll send you a letter. Check it out, dude. I can relate. Beto. Stop that. You cannot relate. You've got to add a zero. Okay, get out of here. All those ladies, I was like, no, I can't have more kids. There's none left for me. Really? That's odd. And I was like, just because I have amazing reproductive ways. Beto, you're 14. You've never even been with a girl. Dude, I'm serious, man. My swimmers are like... Like trout, bro. Stop it. You don't even know what that means. I do too, dude. Ask any one of my ex-wives. You've been married before. Yeah, dude. I was married to Kim.
Kim? Eminem's ex. My nephew Beto. Their boobs feel like sandbags, right? Ridiculous. Alright, so there's that. Real quick, Kenny Chesney says, what guy who loves girls would be angry about that? I'm pretty confident in the fact that I love girls. I've got a long line of girls who could testify that I'm not gay. There were years when I had better summers than A-Rod. Oh, boy. I mean, Are you kidding me? Are you kidding? You're gay. You don't have to do that, bro. You just don't have to. I got audio of this representative from Massachusetts. Oh, beer off. Scolding one of the bank CEOs. This audio is... Crazy. And I'm going to play that for you next. And also, Brett Favre is retiring. What does he have to say about it? What does he have to say about it? We'll find out next. Keep it together. I want to let you guys know how much I really appreciate your show. I try to catch every minute. It's the best. Yeah, you can't win. You can't win. No, you can't win. He has the worst Cupid outfit I've ever seen on. No question about it. The worst. It's creative. I didn't know Cupid smoked. I didn't either. I didn't either. You can go see it right now if you'd like. You got to hear this audio, you guys. This audio is pretty crazy. So there is a representative from Massachusetts. He's a Democrat. And he apparently has had it with the banks and what the banks are doing. And he had finally had enough. And here we are at this hearing, and he's talking to one of the CEOs of the bank, and he's letting the guy have it. Basically, you come to us today on your bicycles after buying Girl Scout cookies and helping out Mother Teresa, telling us we're sorry, we didn't mean it, we won't do it again. Trust us. Well...
I have some people in my constituency that actually robbed some of your banks. And they say the same thing. They're sorry. They didn't mean it. They won't do it again. Just let them out. Do you understand that this is a little difficult for most of my constituents to take? That you learned your lesson? Wow. Geez. Some pretty harsh stuff, right? Awesome. He's getting after it. Good. They deserve it. Yeah, thank you. Come on. Harsh. Mm-hmm. Nice. Harsh enough. Some people are really upset about it, you know? And they got to get in there and voice their opinion. I guess. That is definitely a guy that is not going to be quiet about it. Good. And again, that guy was from Massachusetts, Rob. I'm sure you'd be very proud of him. Very proud. What about that accent? Oh, man. Yeah. Okay, Eddie, you're going to have to control yourself during that. Now. Now.
Sports stories of the day. It's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Listen, there's late breaking news yesterday. We already talked about it. Brett Favre officially calls it quits. He is going to retire from the New York Jets. Rob, why is that a hot button? Why is Brett Favre a hot button for you? It's just so ridiculous to me. Like, oh, I'm going to quit. Please give me some attention because it's the offseason and I really just want to cry. You really think that was what it was? I don't understand that. What if the guy, you know, he just had a love for the game. He couldn't leave it. This guy is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He still had something left in the tank. That's right. And he felt like he needed to play. Still had something left in the tank. Where was that something left in the tank against that last game against Miami? Hey, he said. He said the last month he played, his body was beat up, and he could barely do it the last month. So he should have quit last year or the year before. He should have quit during the season. I don't think we should give him any attention. You know, let him quit, retire, and then after we'll go, oh, you really did it. Or you know what? Maybe halfway through next season we'll go, ah, ah, are you coming? No? All right, all right. Now we'll announce it. It's done. Wow.
I don't have nice things to say. I'm sorry, Eddie. I am sorry. I am too, dude. I don't know. Like, do you right now? Well, he announced yesterday that the time was right for him to retire and had this to say. I talked with Woody today. It was the first time since the last game. Is he talking about Woody from BC and Woody from back in the day? No, he's not. Woody from Toy Story. Is that him either? He's talking about Woody Hayes. No, Woody. What's his name? Harrelson. No, no, no. The owner of the Jets. Got it, got it. Talked to Mike numerous times. He's talking about me, right? No, he's talking about the general manager. He called Mike to see how Eddie was doing. That's right. I wish, but no. And throughout our conversation, he has reiterated over and over that they would like to have me back. And Mike, I think based on... In fact, they begged me. They begged me to come back. What's happened in the past... I did not want to be pushy one way or the other. But believe me, you know, I got the sense from day one that I was welcome back and truly appreciate that. But it was solely my decision. And Mike and I, once again, have talked on several occasions and have sent each other texts back and forth.
Boy, I would love to see those. Wouldn't you love to see what those are about? Wouldn't you? Absolutely. Most any other time. I just felt like it's time for them to move on. And even though they didn't ask for an answer, I just felt like it was time for, you know, in fairness to them, to let them pursue, you know, what they're going to do. He did not feel that way about Green Bay. No. He did not. But, yes, you know, that was reiterated to me numerous times that I was welcomed back. He's very rugged. He's beautiful. Yes. He's cut. Eddie, don't you think he could be on the cover of some, like, paper towels? You know what I mean? Yeah, he's very brawny. Very brawny. Yeah. But, you know, I mean, the guy, you know, gave it a go. And I don't have a problem with that. I know Rob does. But, you know, if he felt like in his head and in his heart I can play and I still want to play and the team that I, you know, had spent my entire career with doesn't want me to play with them, then I'm going to move on. Dude, they offered you $20 million not to play. Like you're a jerk. That's the opposite of what I was just saying.
His head and his heart wanted him to play. He wanted it so bad he turned down $20 million to play. I got a ton of respect for that. I'm sending him a B-Rob Valentine E-card. I'm sending Eddie one and I'm going to say it was from Brett Favre. But don't tell Eddie. That's a good idea. I'm mad at that guy. So, there it is. Brett Favre retired. Miguel Tejada yesterday officially pleaded guilty to lying to a congressional investigator and then had this to say afterwards. I made a mistake and now I know how serious a mistake that I make for no answer to the question about another teammate. I take responsibility and I pay guilty of this money. You can't prove that. That's what he said. You did? Yes, I read a transcript. And I'm very sorry for you. He's very sorry. No, he didn't say very. He said he was very. The last thing that I want to do is make this country down. I hope they forgive me. Thank you to the Houston Astros to support me, all my friends, the Dominican Republic. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what you said.
You got that upset. You got very upset. Sorry. I think these guys, they dug themselves a hole. Now it's hard to get out of the hole. Yeah. They dug themselves into a situation that's very uncomfortable now. Well, you shouldn't lie. That's true. That's the biggest thing to me. That's true. That is the lesson. Now, this one really angers me. Commissioner Bud Selig is considering punishing A-Rod. That's stupid. For what? Well, you know, for admitting to using steroids. So he should have lied? Well, wait a second. Well, here's what makes me mad. Yeah. Isn't this supposed to be an anonymous test? Yeah, and aren't there 103 other players that should be punished as well if he's punishing A-Rod? Yeah, I guess admitting it is bad? No, you're right. You're right, because you don't put the word anonymous on it unless you're willing to stand behind that. Right, and if these tests...
were supposedly anonymous, why did they have names attached to them? Yeah, it should have been like player A, player B. Yeah, why didn't you just pee in a cup and not have anything written on that cup? And then, you know, the Padres, the Yankees, whoever, just turn in, here's the anonymous test for our team. Yeah. And then they can go through them and go, oh, 104 guys didn't pass. You know... It's brutal. Okay, let's walk this one through. Okay. If it's an anonymous test... and I take said anonymous test, and my name is somehow attached to it, now I have, I would think, a lawsuit. I would think so. I would think so, because, I mean, that's garbage. And he's the only one that they've leaked. That's not right, man. It isn't. It's not excusing what he did, but he's also... being wronged here too that's garbage he is you know and you can't punish a guy for for you know doing something that wasn't illegal in baseball yeah for in 2003 it wasn't it wasn't a thing yeah you know and so a-rod did he he may have broke the law he definitely broke the law you know because the steroids were illegal sure and i understand that but
If we're going to go after A-Rod for that, you're going to have to go after half of your league, bud. Yeah, bud. Isn't that like saying this? Bud. Isn't that like if Clear Channel Radio said, listen, we have a problem. We don't know if we have a problem, but we're pretty sure that we have a problem with somebody stealing office supplies. So we would like everybody to put an anonymous letter in and admit it if you've done it. Right. So everybody puts in an anonymous letter, and a couple of us here on the show, you know, Ashley and Rob, say they did it. And the boss upstairs says, well, you're not going to be punished by us for working here. However, you did break the law. Stealing's illegal. So I must take disciplinary action on you. But it was anonymous. Yes, but you broke the law. That's awful. That's not cool. That ain't right. That ain't cool, man. Let's see. P1 Shipwreck has an observation to make. Go ahead, Shipwreck. How are you doing, Mikey? I'm good, man. That clip that you guys just played of Miguel Tejada sounded just like the guy from Princess Bride, Inigo Montoya. Let's take a listen. I made a mistake, and now I know how serious a mistake.
that I make for no answer to the question about another teammate. I take responsibility, and I play guilty this morning, and I'm very sorry for you what happened. The last thing that I want to do is... Now, you guys have seen Princess Bride. I haven't seen it, so does it sound like that guy? My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. Prepare to die. Is it pretty close? Once again, thank you, Ashley. Thank you. I was going to... I love it. I love it. Thank you, P1 Shipwreck. We appreciate it. Let's see. Any other headlines we're missing, Eddie? No, I'll give you more later. Okay. I'll tell you what. Where are we on time? You're close. We're close. Okay, but I still have a little time, right? Yeah, a little bit. Just a little. Let's see. How about closing arguments yesterday?
In the case of those four San Diego firefighters that were suing the city because the city made them work in the gay pride parade. And they feel that they were harassed. Hey. Hey. Yeah. Hey. So basically this is about the 2007 Gay Pride Parade. That was the best one. It was the best one? It's a good year. Yeah, so these four firefighters say that they told their supervisors that they were uncomfortable but were still made to participate in the Gay Pride Parade. And then, you know, they came back and said that they felt that it was, you know, funky. Here we go. That they had to participate. Engine number five. Let's go. And a one and a two. And a one too. The fire department, after hearing their complaints, after participating, said that they apologized to them and promised to change the department's policy so that next time, if someone says they're uncomfortable, they won't have to participate. Is it true they were offered season one of Sex and the City as a sort of a settlement agreement? No, I did not hear that. And they turned it down? That's sweet. Attorneys for the firefighters.
said that they were subjected to crude comments, vulgar actions. They had to see simulated sex acts. Unwanted sexual material was then delivered to the station after the parade. They said they also witnessed a man groping another man along the parade route. And so they say that equals an offensive work environment and sexual harassment. I'm waiting for the problem. They're not asking for a specific amount of money because this case actually already went to trial where they were asking for $1 million for each firefighter, and the jury was deadlocked on it, and so they got a new trial. So this time around, they're not asking for a specific dollar amount, but they are asking jurors to give the clients damages for anxiety, humiliation, and emotional distress. I wonder how many, what is the percentage of people listening right now who know who Sam the koala is? What do you think the percentage is of people that know who Sam the koala is? I know Sam the butcher. Different. That's Brady Bunch. This is different. This is Sam the koala in Australia. Ashley, do you know? Nope. Rob, do you know? No. Sky knows. Eddie, do you know? Kind of. Kind of? Let me tell you something. Sky told me something yesterday.
And a lot of people, this is kind of a big story right now, that Sam the Koala is recuperating from injuries in the Australian wildfires, which is sad, no doubt about it. But when I tell you the connection between this koala and TMZ, you know, it's like a tabloid site, right, Skye? How would you describe TMZ? Gossip site? Yeah, celebrity entertainment gossip website. Yeah. When I tell you what the connection is, you're going to throw up. What? Oh, no. You might. I don't want to. You might. Well, it's not, like, disgusting, but it's disgusting, so I'll tell you that next. Mikey. You don't forget. The Mikey Show. Cock-a-doodle-doo? That's supposed to get me out of bed? We are seeing a busy ride, though, in the usual places out of Escondido South 15. Pretty tough off that 78 now down the Via Rancho Parkway. East County's looking pretty good, though. The westbound 8's looking nice. The 94 moving right along into downtown. Getting heavier, though, out of the South Bay on both the 5 and the 805 northbound now. Especially this 805 jamming up through National City. Then heavy again through North Park. And a full span back up on the bridge getting into Coronado. So watch for those brake lights coming off the 5 heading toward the bridge. I'm McLaurin on Rock 1053. Oh, yeah.

If you want to send your loved one something special and fancy for free, go to MikeyShow.com and we have e-cards of Boston Rob dressed as the stupid Cupid. If you're close to getting a divorce, you send this card, you will renew your vows. You'll turn that from upside down. It's that good. It's really good. So there it is. Maybe it would be a great way to tell somebody that you love them. Just to send him that. You know what I mean? Oh, like new love? Mm-hmm. Oh. Yes, I like it. They almost like there's no tomorrow. High school chicks, university chicks, it don't matter. There he is. Easy, guys. Whoa, they're busy. That's President Obama. Duh. Guy likes high school chicks. Whoa. He just said. Hold on. That's not true. So, Sam the koala. Oh, Mike, he's so cute. She's so cute. Sorry. Wait, Sam is a girl? Yes. Apparently in Australia. There are some terrible wildfires that are burning there, and a koala got injured, Skye? Yeah, her little paws were burned, and she was sitting on a tree. Why is that funny? Eddie, why is that funny? That's sad. I put it up, and I'm sorry. God. Sam, the koala, is making worldwide news. Her picture is everywhere. It's a koala bear. I just keep thinking, like, the koala going, ooh, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot. That's hot, hot, that's hot, hot. See, Eddie would have got...
in trouble with TMZ. Yes. Why? With the world, basically. Wait till you hear this. What's going on? Wait till you hear this. I accept. Okay, so Sam LaCuala had her little paws burned and she was sitting on a tree and a firefighter came through the area and had bottled water. And so gave Sam the koala a bottled water, and Sam was drinking it, like, out of the bottle because she was so thirsty because of the fire. And somebody got a picture of it, and this picture just, you know, no pun intended, like wildfire across the internet. No pun intended, but chooses the word spread like wildfire. Hot, hot, hot. Hi, Santa. I'm just saying. That was kind of terrible. So it was so cute. It was everywhere. And, you know, a lot of these, like, entertainment websites, when they find, like, really super cute pictures, they'll post them and, like, make some little comment or whatever. So TMZ gets the Sam LaCrolla picture and posts it. And, you know, it's like, oh, this is so adorable, blah, blah, blah. And then made some sort of joke about after drinking from the bottled water, Sam is going to go to Pilates and then grab some sushi.
I guess they got so many complaints that TMZ issued a retraction and an apology. Wait a minute. Yes, wait a minute. The website that trashes people on a daily basis and never apologizes for trashing it. Issues an apology about Sam the Koala. So who is that guy? Like, who's the guy that goes to TMZ to read all their... And ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Point laugh, point laugh, point laugh. Look at all the cheese legs. Oh, you're a drunk. Yeah. Like, who's the guy that goes there for that good laugh every day? Right. But then gets upset because a comment was made about the koala. I think it's women. Dude. Women love, they love that entertainment gossip stuff, but they love animals. Oh, they're so cute. So I think that that's, I think it's women. Yeah, let me tell you, Skye's pretty politically correct. She's all that. Even she thought that was pretty stoop. To retract that over all the trash they talk. Oh, please. Yeah. Wow. Sam LaKoala, you're the love of my life.
a matter with you today. She's really online. Have you seen the pictures? Really online. What if the koala scratched you? Well, we'd have to rethink all that. That's right. Did we tell the story? I can't even... Oh, by the way, in the Mikey Show 360, which is coming up in, I don't know, like 10 minutes, I'm telling you that this Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman... I can't wait to hear this. Dude, it's really outrageous. That's going to be awesome. To the point where I don't know if he's sick or if he's doing like a bit, like he's acting, like this is acting. Like, because his getup, I won't, I'll tell you in a minute. But I can't remember if we told the story about, they're going to release prisoners. Somebody is suggesting, like a federal judge is requesting that they, in California. Release prisoners? Is that the story? Yeah, a federal judge ruled that basically our prison system as it stands today because of all the overcrowding is unconstitutional because the prisoners aren't getting the treatment that they deserve as, you know, Americans and human beings. And so they say that they need to reduce the prison population, which would mean letting go about.
Between 36,000 and 57,000 inmates. Oh, my gosh. So the governor has appealed to the Supreme Court saying we can't just let all these people go. But as it stands right now, that's the ruling that they're going to have to reduce the prison population and let a bunch of people out. When will they do that? Well, I guess they're going to have to, you know, wait for the appeal and see, you know, how that works out with the Supreme Court. But we'll find out more as time passes. We're on Tortilla Show. Every once in a while, we just come on, man, and we start talking about stuff. Special correspondence. That's right, man. Yes. Nice. Well, I heard the white girl over here talking about this prison thing, man. That's right. That's what I said. You said Curly Sue. My name is Skye. Right. Yeah, the girl that apparently was slashing her wrist last night. What? That was my girl.
Is there a hotline number you could call? Are you a cutter? No. Take a look at those wrists, man. That's brutal. Hey, listen. If they release half of the people in jail, then we can finally start up the business I've been dreaming about. What's that? I want to start my own prune old business. What the heck? What's that? You know, professional jail winemaking. Oh, yeah. I remember you talking about this. I'm going to call it. Pinot Jalo. Oh, that sounds delicious. I don't think so. All kinds of varieties, like orange and purple. I'll take two. Sounds yummy, right? I heard Austin Rob say that because they have to release people from jail, everyone can commit one free crime if they want to. No. No. And I just want to extend a friendly business proposition to B-Rob. If that kid wants to make some real quick money, have him call me, okay? Rob, we'll take care of this. By the way, Tortilla, all my boys are going to be looking for a place to stay when they get out, you know, at least a 40% or whatever.
Right. And I told them they can stay at my apartment, but taking a shower is going to be very crowded. Okay. And so I constituted a new shower rule. What's that? No washing under your pits if other guys don't have room to move around. Oh, just the pits. You know what I mean, Tortillo? Yeah, I do. Hey, Tyrone, you know what? What, man? There's a downside to letting some of these guys out of prison. What's that, Tortillo? I'm scared for that little punk Beto. What are you talking about? What do you mean? You mean that little kid down the street that thinks he's all hard? Yeah, that's him. Beto, he had a girlfriend one time and Hector stole her from him. What? He did? Yeah, yeah. And when they had Hector in the back of the police car, that little guy Beto, he ran up through the window and he started to go like, Hector, who's my lady now? Now you're talking all this papas. That's ridiculous. And Beto thought that Hector was going to be locked up for a long time, man. Oh, no, man. Not anymore. Poor, tiny, little, small, itty-bitty Beto. Oh, no, no. I can't believe friends are getting out of jail, Tortilla. Yeah. Yeah, Chamomile called me. Oh, really? Yeah, that's right. I love her. She told me about three homegirls going to be getting released early. Oh, yeah, yeah. You're talking about...
Candy and Lexi and Alize? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, man. No, wait a minute. No, now that I think about it, I'm talking about Mercedes, Trixie, and Chandelier. These are all weird names. You know these, yeah. Me and Chandelier used to have a thing. Yeah, they worked the Saturn in that late shift. That's true. And I'm talking like the late shift. Oh, shit. All right. All right. Definitely. You know what I'm saying? I'm pumped up. Dude, because yesterday I got word from my homie Shy Boy. What? Shy Boy. And my other homies Joker and Angel and Dreamer. These sound like drug dealers. Yeah, they're all getting out. You know, the band's getting back together, you know what I'm saying? Are you really, man? Yeah, really. Ew, no way. No, really. We actually had a band called Black Market Baby Formula. Market Baby Formula. Why did you choose me? Why do you ask questions you're not prepared for the answers for? I love you guys' music, man. It's really, really good, man. Wow. I, for one, really enjoy you guys' music, and I will buy it, man. Thank you. You know, we just came up with a new song called Ain't Nothing I Haven't Tried to Smoke Except Bacon. Stop smoking weed. Obviously. I think it was. Duh, you know.
We're hoping the band will boost the economy. Hey, hey, Tortilla. Yeah, what's up, Tyrone? Hey, guess who's getting his walking papers, man? Who's that? Who else? Our old pal Rick the Stick. No way! Yeah, man. It's true. You remember how he named? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Didn't he try to sell an actual stick to an FBI agent claiming it was a super joint? Yeah, man. For brunch, I think. Oh, really? That would be nice. I would like that. Hey, hey, Tyrone. Yeah, man. You know, I'm actually glad they're easing up on the prisons, man. Why? Why, Toto? Well, you know, I don't know if you know this or not, Tyrone, but my trial for selling bootleg copies of Roseanne is coming up. Bootleg copies? Season two. Season two? It was my favorite. So maybe they'll let me go with just a slap on the wrist. To the Mikey Show. How dare you all attack him like this? Mikey. Michael is your superior. You should be bowing down in front of him. This is Rock 105.3.
Cock-a-doodle-doo? That's supposed to get me out of bed? It cock-a-doodle don't work for me. Know what does? Subway flatbread omelet sandwiches. I was talking to P1 James yesterday at American Audio Video, and he said something that was really interesting to me. He said, you know, the reason why we have such great prices and that we're able to have some leeway with people and their budgets and stuff like that is that we're not like these big box companies. When you go to one of these big box companies, they have a bunch of stuff in the back, like a bunch of stock, and they don't really care what you need.
They just want to get rid of their stock. So they're going to sell you whatever they have. And that's not what American Audio Video do. They want to make sure you get specifically what you want. And to me, this is one of the greatest things going on right now and one of the best things I've ever heard of. They're having a giant sale tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday where all of their televisions are going to be sold at cost. That is outrageous. I mean, in this time, of tough economic times. I've never heard of something like this. And if you've always wanted a cool plasma TV or any kind of TV and it wasn't in the budget, maybe now it is. Because selling these TVs at cost, it's unheard of. It's not going to ever happen again. And American Audio Video is taking care of it. So this is the way to go. On Saturday, they're giving away 40... or for the first 40 people to show up, they're giving away a dozen roses. And they're going to have prizes and raffles and all kinds of great stuff going on. So if you want to know where American Audio Video is, it's right off Miramar Road. It's 8920 Kenamar Drive, right off Miramar Road. If you know where that big giant pyramid thing is, I think Ashley Furniture is in there, a bunch of other stuff. It's right behind there. So it's really easy to find. I'm telling you, this sale this weekend is going to be enormous. So you've got to get out to American Audio Video this weekend.

Well, traffic is starting to jam up a little bit tougher now out of Escondido in the South 15. That's a slow one, man, from the El Norte Parkway exit all the way through Escondido to Villarancho Parkway before it lets you loose. Seeing some brake lights as well down the coastline, South 5, briefly around Cannon Road, then again out of Lucadia and a Solana Beach. The East County Community is not too bad here. The westbound needs cooperating into the valley. The 94 King Freeway westbound, though, backing up from Euclid all the way to downtown. Just an accident near 25th Street is adding that heavy back up there. And you're seeing more brake lights out of the South Bay. Both the 5 and 805 northbound starting to jam up pretty good out of Chula Vista up into Nashville City. 805 slows again through North Park, and now you've got the slowdown out of Kearney Mesa heading up over to 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.

I gotta tell you, the older I get, the more and more I become into history stuff. Sky. You know, your friend's a little sensitive and isn't a big fan of violence. Boston Rob. I watch a lot of Food Network lately, and it's mostly because of you. And Ashley. I love my bangs, and they grow out so freaking fast. Save that clip. I know, save that clip. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Now, with what's up in your world. This is the Mikey Show 360. I've been threatening to do it all morning. I'm going to do it. This is one of the strangest things, man. Oh, no. By the way, it's 741. David Letterman had Joaquin Phoenix on. Now, if you don't know, you know, Joaquin Phoenix, he's a dude that I think he won an Oscar for Walk the Line, right? Oh, yeah. He's real good. He's really a good actor. He was nominated. I don't know if he won, but he was nominated. He didn't win? I don't remember. Super good actor, though. Yeah. and he has kind of left acting, and he's now doing music. Yeah, his movie that's coming out, like he has a movie coming out, and after he finished doing that movie, he said, this is my last movie, and I am retiring from acting, and I'm going to focus solely on my music career, which I believe is like a wrap.
career. No. It is. I don't know that I'm buying Joaquin Phoenix. I'm not sure. It's a stunt or something? I think it might be a stunt because you would have to see the video of it, which if you go to David Letterman's to the CBS website where David Letterman's show is, they've got video of it. But he's got like, you know how Eddie Vedder had the kind of A shaggy, shorter hair. You know, I mean, it's like shoulder length when I say. You know what I mean? And it's shaggy and it looks unwashed. Oh, my. And then the big beard. And then he's got a big, giant beard. And then he's got on these sunglasses. He looks homeless. Yeah. But then he's wearing like a business suit. And so you get a feeling that it's almost like a costume. Wow. But when I heard it, I'm like, I can't tell if he's on drugs or if he is for real. That is odd. But take a listen to it. Thank you very much for being on the program again. You know, it's been three years since the last time you were on the show. And I will just say right off the top here, you look different than I remember. You've got a nice beard going. Oh, yeah. Thank you. How is that? The beard.
I'm in my way. Well, is it comfortable? Is it itchy? Are you pleased with it? I'm okay with it, but now you're making me feel weird about it. I'm sorry, I'm making you feel weird about it? Is there something wrong? I can't be the first one to make it... Okay, first of all... What the heck? Dude, I'm so uncomfortable. Dude, it gets way more uncomfortable. No. I mean, it clearly sounds like there's something in it, like he's messed up. It's like Barbara on the... Seriously. But then you... But then you go, is this, like, for real? Right. Do you think you feel weird about it? No, I guess not. See, that's what I'm talking about. You do a lot of this? That's just a nervous tick, I think. Oh, it's just a nervous tick. You know, I saw this movie the other night. Tremendous. What a tremendous film. You and who else is in it? What's her name? Beautiful, lovely. What is he doing? He's kind of.
Every once in a while, I give him like a little shoulder twitch, you know, and just sort of. And he's got on these sunglasses and you can see, you know how you can kind of see somebody's eyes underneath the shade? You can see his eyes and he's like very nervous, you know, and I don't know if he's acting. He looks out to the audience, and at one point it looks like his feelings are hurt, that people are laughing. But I can't tell if it's like a big gag. Gwyneth Paltrow. Oh, yeah, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vanessa Shaw. Very nice movie. And you don't see movies like this much anymore, and I was so gratified to see it. And you were terrific in the film. I really enjoyed your work. Thank you. So Dave just sits there and sort of... Dave is the best. He's the best. I love it. Oh, man. He's the best. So he just kind of sits there. Awkward. Oh, my goodness. And so this is Dave with him at the end of the interview. It's a lovely film, really. And, Joaquin, I'm sorry you couldn't be here tonight. Wow. Wow. Wow. Dude. Apology to Farrah Fawcett. Now, Farrah Fawcett, very famous for being on The Letterman Show and being kind of, you know, wacky.
Ms. Two Lovers opens Friday in selected cities. Thank you very much and good luck in your new career. I hope that goes well. No, you don't, Dave. When will we see the new music career, the new hip-hop career, when will we see that take off? When can we, because we want to be there. Well, I'd love to come on the show and perform. Yeah. But I'm just, I'm making this. I don't know. I mean, I don't know. I'm in awe. I don't know what to make of it. I don't know. Is he on drugs? Is he... It's interesting because immediately you go, oh, yeah, well, he's high. He's, like, messed up. Yeah. But he's so... The get-up is so outrageous. Like, would he have, like, his people allow him to be on like this? Like, no one is going to say we must cancel this appearance. Yeah. And, like, why would you ever book him in this state?
Yeah. Well, I did read something a while ago because because, you know, Joaquin Phoenix has been doing these like little club performances doing his rap. And I mean, from what I hear, I haven't heard it. But from all the descriptions, it's like it's like a disaster. No, it's a total disaster. Quimby. Yeah. Tell everybody what you know. OK, so this is what I've been reading. Casey Affleck, B-Rob, is filming a documentary. on Joaquin Phoenix's hip-hop career. And Joaquin said that that club appearance in Las Vegas, it was really, really bad. And he claims it was all a bit. Really? Yeah. Wait, who claims it was all a bit? Joaquin. Because I read that people are saying it's a bit, it's a setup, and Joaquin and Casey are saying, no, it's not, is what I've been reading. Really? They're saying this is a legitimate documentary. Now that I'm hearing that people have thought that this is a bit, it's making me really think it's a bit. It's a little Borat, you know what I mean? It's pretty outrageous. He always had an accent, right? No, he doesn't have an accent. In the very beginning, especially when I was listening, I heard a faint almost accent.
It's from Drunkville. Yeah. I swear I heard, like, a British accent. It's from the state of, you know, Messed Up and Saw. Slurry Town. Yeah, it's not, you know. Wow. Yeah, I'm starting to think that it may be Andy Kaufman-like. You know what I mean? That's what reminds me of. Yeah. It's very Andy Kaufman-like. Well, because Casey Affleck is his brother-in-law. Yeah. So it would... It would be hard for me to believe. I mean, weirder things have happened, but to have your brother-in-law stand by and film you in a downward spiral for a documentary is kind of hard to believe a family member would stand by and watch that. Why is everybody calling this a downward spiral? I think he looks awesome. He's at the top of his game right now. No way. I like him like this. P1 Bird? Yeah. Go ahead, man. You're on the air. On the Grammys or whatever it just was. The other night, Puff Daddy, they interviewed him, and we're talking about Joaquin Phoenix being in the studio with him. It was just like a short little clip, but it was on Extra, and they were talking about, you know, if he was good or not. And Puff Daddy said, oh, yeah, he's real good, man. He's in on the bit. He's in on the bit. He's in on the bit. I don't remember how long ago it was, but I had this clip, and I don't know if we got to it, but we had this clip of him.
Walking? Yeah. It was real bad audio. Yeah, we never played it because the audio was so hard to hear. So bad. But it sounded so dumb. Like, it wasn't meant to be real. You know, it didn't sound... It's a bit. It's a bit. It's gotta be. The thing is, though, is that when the bit is revealed, I'm really gonna be interested to see, like, what this character is. Yeah, yeah. Like, what is the character? Yeah. Washout guy. Because he's wearing a suit. That's weird. It's so weird. It's just weird. Yeah. You know? Which I kind of like. Yeah. I kind of like that it's just bizarre, weird. But I also want to buy into it. Like, if I know it's a bit, then I'm, like, not into it. Yeah. Let's see. P1 Town, you there? Oh. Yeah, yeah. He just took his gum out and put it underneath the... That's a bit. It's a bit. Yeah, you don't do that. P1 T-Town. Yeah, I was going to say, didn't Jim Carrey do the same thing? Act like a character who showed up to some awards. Yeah, that was the MTV Awards. Remember when he went to the MTV Awards, he had like a giant fake beard. To promote? Was he promoting? He was doing a bit. Like I'm an old classic rock singer kind of guy. And he's talking about Foghat and all this stuff. Yeah, I do remember that.
Why does everyone doing a bit have to grow a big disgusting beer? I don't know, man. He's taking it to a new level. That's the thing. That is the thing. All right, dude. Thank you, brother. You got to see it. Wow. It will freak you out. Let's see. 570-1053 is our phone number. Why does the mayor of Las Vegas want an apology from Barack Obama? I mean, really, for me, it's the TVs on the machines. And after that, what I really love is the TVs on the machines. And those TVs ain't bad. So, and I know a lot of people are like, that's not why you're in there. What if it is? What if I don't have cable? What if that's exactly why I'm in there? Rob hasn't had cable in two years. He goes to Frogs Fitness and just looks at the TV. It's fantastic. Breaking news, got to go to Frogs. Right, Rob? You know it, dude. That's right. Rob, by the way, has recorded some little Cupid e-cards that you can get at MikeyShow.com right now if you want to go see them. The website for Frogs Fitness, FrogsFit.com. Kevin? Yeah, Mom? It's pretty garbage disposal. It's true. Thank you. And Ashley. I support sweat everywhere I go. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Don't stop. This song is really catchy. Oh, yeah? That Shinedown tune? The Second Chance? Yeah. I love this song. Did it, Eddie? You ever seen these guys, though? No. Oh, he Shinedown? Yeah, lead singer looks like Lestat. Yeah. He does. Yeah, I know exactly. He's even got, like, the creepy fingernail. Yeah. I don't like the lyrics. Oh, come on, get it. I just saw Haley's Comet. Maybe you did. Oh, please, Sky. Think about it, Mike.
No, you didn't. Come on. Hey. Oh, okay. First of all, it's 802, and I want to remind people that they can go to MikeyShow.com if they want to send a video of Boston Rob. Yes. Dressed as Cupid. It's the worst Cupid costume I've ever seen. It's awesome. No question about it. It's like homemade. Ever. And you can see it right now, and he's got on a sign that says, I'm with Cupid. Get it? Yeah, yeah. And I thought I said the wrong thing. No, you're right. And you can send it to anybody you want. You can send all five if you want to. That's great. It's pretty cool. Mike, look at Rob's plate, please. Can you see what's going on over there? It's a mountain. It is a mountain, sir. Your husband is a mountainous dessert taker. Rob, well said. Well said. You really want me there. Rob has round table pizza. We all do. Round table pizza is delicious. I've only had it once. Are you serious? What are you talking about, Matt? I wish that that guy that just came in from round table was still here. Matt, Matt, Matt. Because I would ask Matt, do you guys, as your sauce, have red wine in it? Wow. Because they have a very distinct sauce. It's delicious. Zesty. Zesty. Delish. Delish.
And so thank you, Roundtable. Yeah, they got a deal going on right now. What's the deal? They said that if you come in today and you tell them that you're P1, now this is participating stores, I don't know which ones, but that you can receive a free drink with your buffet purchase. They do like a lunch buffet. Yeah, it's really good. So you can get a free drink. Say your P1. That's pretty cool. That's very cool. Roundtable, I love you. They're good. So good. Sky, why is... The mayor of Las Vegas demanding an apology from Obama. Yeah, this is this is an interesting story. So basically, OK, we know these big companies have gotten bailouts, but then they've been talking about how they're still doing extravagant things and the taxpayers are upset. So Obama kind of addressed that. And he said, you can't get corporate jets. You can't take trips to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers dime. He's right. And so the mayor of Las Vegas is like, hey, wait a second. Our tourism money, a lot of our tourism money comes from people coming to Las Vegas to do conferences. And what's so different, the difference between them doing their conference in, say, San Francisco versus doing their conference in Las Vegas? Why is that bad? Why are we tainted? Why can't they do that?
Well, obviously people are like, well, we don't want you to spend your, you know, stimulus money that you're getting your checks and go to Vegas and spend it. Yeah. Yeah. But if they claim they're doing it for like a conference for a legitimate thing, what does the city matter? You know? And so the mayor is upset and thinks it's going to hurt their tourism dollars. And so is, you know, calling Obama out on it. We just sent Eddie on the high-speed railway that hasn't been built yet to San Francisco, and then he got off of the high-speed railway. He got onto a plane, and he flew to Denver, Colorado on an airplane, and then from there got onto a helicopter, and the helicopter took him to Las Vegas. I actually think that he's actually landing in Las Vegas right now. We can hear him, and then we have him on cell phone. you realize that Las Vegas is literally...
hundreds of miles away. Las Vegas is millions of feet away. Millions of feet from here. A few hours in a car away. It's really far. For that reason, we've sent him there. He's in Las Vegas. Let's see. Eddie, are you there? I believe we have him on the phone. We'll get him here in just a second. I believe that we're going to be talking to him in just a second. Okay. First of all, Eddie, thank you for making the trip to Vegas. Listen, talk to us if you can. Tell us about the state of the city, as it were. In other words, how do you think that the folks are reacting to what the mayor... Well, you're welcome. I'm happy to be here. There's a bit of a delay, so you might hear a little... Eddie, let me ask you, and by the way, we've heard it's been cold out there in Vegas, so bundle up, buddy. You know what I'm saying? Hey, listen, we wanted to ask you about Mayor Goodman's recent demands for President Obama to apologize about his comments. It's funny you talk about it being cold here, Mikey. I'm actually bundled up. Eddie, sorry about the delay. We're working on it. Bear with us if you don't mind. Listen, about Obama.
The president's going to relent and eventually apologize because I think it's a conventional wisdom that most assume at this stage of the presidency that what he want to do is he would probably want to get out there. Yeah, the delay is really bad. Rob would say wicked, wicked man. Listen, Eddie, I know you need to catch your helicopter soon and head back here, so I won't keep you much longer. No, no, no. In terms, I know, it's a delay. In terms of the stimulus package that is being proposed by the House, don't you think even Mayor Goodman can see that it might be a good idea for Americans to, at this point, probably want... Well, I'm glad you brought up the stimulus package. He's hundreds of miles away. Okay, thank you, Eddie. We'll see you. We'll see you when you get back. I think the delay's a little too much. We've run into this problem in the past, so instead of trying to get you to really... Are you guys wrapping me up? I mean, I don't... I already did. Well, thank you, Eddie. I'm having a hard time with the delay. That was Eddie. He's out in Las Vegas.
What? Now, what do you think? Oh, man. I see him being scurried back into the helicopter. He's getting back in the helicopter. He's flying back to Denver, Colorado from Las Vegas, Nevada. And then he's going to get on an airplane from Denver and fly to San Francisco. where he will catch the high-speed railway that hasn't been built yet and get back to San Diego. And for some reason, his helicopter is still in the air, even though he's walking in the door. Hey, there's Eddie! Man, I tell you, the city that never sleeps. I'll tell you, it was something else there. Sorry about that delay. Oh, gosh. I really tried to go with it, but it was hard. It's hard to. Well, Vegas is far. So, I mean, those delays are rough. Speaking of the stimulus plan. Oh, we were? Apparently, well, we were trying to. Oh, I didn't know. We were trying to. I never caught that.
Sky announced earlier today that apparently it's happened. What does that mean? The difference between the Senate and House versions we've resolved. The bills were really quite similar. And I'm pleased to announce that we've been able to bridge those differences. Like any negotiation, this involved give and take. And if you don't mind my saying so, that's an understatement. Well, yeah, on both sides, buddy. Yeah. We have now been stimulated. That's right. I want to know, are they sending money out to people? People going to get dough? I don't know if I can look Rob in the face when I say this, Mike. Are you kidding me? Oh, right. Be cool, man. Be cool. Come on, honey bunny. I'm just saying, initially in the bill, it was written that an individual would get $500 and a couple would get $1,000.
Well, this revised vision says that each individual will get $400 and a couple will get $800. What am I supposed to do with $400? Come on. Dude, there goes that yacht. I know I do. I was never going to buy that sucker. Dang it. You had it on layaway. So it is still some money. So some compromises have been made and President Obama should hopefully sign this puppy. It could be as early as today, but hopefully by the end of the week. Progress, right? Yeah. Did any of your moms used to put stuff on layaway? I think so. My mom used to put stuff on layaway. So, you know, you pay. Do you even do you guys know what layaway is? Yeah, of course. Yeah. You put a little dough down and then you just keep building your piggy bank until you earn enough money to get it. Right. You know, it's really strange for you. Yeah. But what's so strange? Yeah. I guess that's the deal. Right. Is that they hold one. Yeah. So that they don't sell out. But you're basically, yeah, Mom, they have the same thing. It's called a savings account. They don't want to lose that particular item. They don't want to lose that item. So by the time they actually purchase it, it's totally outdated. That's a good idea. Yes. I remember ours always being at Penny's. And what would they do? Like big appliances or clothes? Everything, I think. Yeah. But what would your family do? Clothes.
clothes on the way. Really? So you wanted like a pair of pants. I didn't want any of those pants. Trust me. Trust me. Alright, lady? How would that work then? You would... No soft spot, okay? No soft spot. No. I wore awful clothes. Awful clothes. That's not even what I was getting at. I don't know why you had to bring that. I wasn't trying to bring the room down. Talk to me. What were you asking? If your mom would put something on layaway, what would it be? You said clothes. So how would that work? Would she be like, would you pick out a pair of pants and she'd go, you can't have it? Of course not. I had no say. She's doing this. She's making me understand. The Mikey Show. Indeed you are. 105.3. Cock-a-doodle-doo? That's supposed to get me out of bed? It cock-a-doodle don't work for me. Know what does? Subway flatbread omelet sandwiches. I don't think I said that this was the deal, but when I was supposed to tell you this when we went to break.
that there's a guy that appears to be HIV-free after a stem cell transplant. Whoa. Really? Okay, Sky, tell me, because I got issues already. I have issues. I performed the experiment, but that doesn't mean that. Haven't you guys heard, though, that Magic Johnson, that he was taking a cocktail of drugs that made it so that He was not getting a positive result on tests. I could have swore. I vaguely remember something. I thought that was a deal. So I don't get why. What's the big whoop? You know what I mean? Like, haven't they done this? Well, you know, if I'm sure that doesn't work with everybody, because if that were the case, then it wouldn't be, you know, HIV would be nonexistent. They'd have a cure. Honestly. Well, I mean, he's he's technically not cured. He just doesn't show up on an HIV test. And I thought I could be wrong, but I thought the reason that he didn't is because he's got the dough to be able to afford some very expensive medication and drugs and whatever. I don't know.
I'm taking a shot in the dark. So this guy, this is an American, and he underwent this surgery in Germany. He is HIV positive and has leukemia and underwent this stem cell transplant, which I guess they say... you know, this can't really be a cure for HIV because it's so dangerous. They say a third of people who go through this die. Why? What do they do? Let's see. They say to perform the stem cell transplant, they have to basically destroy the patient's whole immune system, which leaves you extremely vulnerable to obviously infection. And then they reintroduce the donor's stem cells. and then establish a new healthy immune system based on the donor's stem cells. That seems crazy. Yeah, so it's been two weeks. All of that, but I cannot get my cable box to work in sync with my iPod. That's a great point. Like, I can't get any of that stuff to be one thing. I can't get my VCR to stop blinking 12. Maybe that joke is a little outdated. Can you guys relate? A little outdated. Yes.
Yeah, so I guess he went through the stem cell transplant for his leukemia, but then started testing negative for HIV, which was something that was unexpected. So it's been two years since his transplant, and he's still HIV negative. Wow. Yeah, pretty crazy. That's nuts. Yeah. We're getting some calls, so we'll see if anybody knows anything, because we don't. Yeah, we don't. For the most part, we don't know. Yeah, like people somehow think, oh, they're on the radio. Experts. Nah, we're watching Lost last night. We don't know what's up. Let's talk about that. It's caused a little bit of a riff in this studio. It did? Just read my blog, everybody, and you'll know where I'm coming from. This season has not been my favorite. My wife agrees with you, by the way. Rebecca agrees with me wholeheartedly. There's something going on. And for me, I feel like I've been treading water. Like, it's the same thing. Well, it's an island, Eddie. Okay. It's been the same thing over and over and over again. And I'm tired of it. It's like, we get it. Oh, you got to get back to the island. Oh, look, another flash. It's the same thing. Every episode. Every episode. Yeah. I'm like.
Can something happen? I'm bored. I couldn't disagree more. Really? Let me talk about it. It's not my favorite season. And I am over the stuff that's happening off the island. But when they're doing the on-island stuff, I am fully in. I got the chills last night at one part. That's because you're cold. Yeah. She's got an infection. It's making a cold. And she needs antibiotics. Getting the chills. No way, dude. I'm still all in. It's still one of my top five shows out there. Oh, yeah. It still is for me, too. Then why do you say you hate it? She's so upset. She got very upset at you. Wow, you're the worst. Wow, I take it back. Thank you. I have an email to read to you. It says, Mike, you have a weird situation. Wanted to get your take on it. I have a neighbor who's pretty cool. I talk to him often and have never had a problem with him until now. I noticed that my kid, who's 13, has been having some extra spending money lately.
I questioned him and asked him where he's getting it. He told me that Bob, my neighbor, has been paying him to walk his dog. Now, I'm all for my kid making money by working. What I don't like is that Bob didn't talk to me about it first. I'm uncomfortable that he didn't check to see if this was all right with me. Is that weird? I feel strongly about it and wanted to see what you guys thought. Love the show. That's P1 Ray. Huh. It's a tough one, right? Well, I don't. What don't you know? Well, I would have understood if this were a neighbor that he doesn't know. Like some random guy who's paying your kid. That creeps me out a little bit. But if he knows Bob and talks to Bob and Bob's cool, what is the issue here? What about Bob? What about Bob? I'm trying to think. I could not disagree more. Well, can you tell me what the issue is? Because maybe I'll jump on your bandwagon. And I'm going to tell you right now. I'm going to tell you right now. I do not have my mind made up. I've heard Eddie's side. So I want to hear Skye's side and see if she can convince me. I like it. Yeah, Bob may be a good guy. Maybe a neighbor. Maybe a friend of the family. But still, Bob is not the parent.
And Bob doesn't have the right to offer somebody who is younger than working age. You can't even legally work at that age in California. And to go up to the kid without consulting the parent. It's crazy to me. You don't ask a kid to do anything without consulting their parent first. I don't care what it is. Skye, we're not talking about a job in a law firm here. I mean, we're talking about walking Scooter. I mean, it's not. How do you know his name is Scooter? How do you know the dog's name? Do the math, Mike. That's true. We're not talking about like a five-year-old. It's a 13-year-old. I mean, that's like a teenager. I would be really upset. Really? Oh, yeah, as a parent. What is it that upsets you? Because you don't know what I have. schedule for my kid you're like coming in and putting something in my kid's schedule without consulting me and you don't know how i feel about my kid having access to money whether i want my kid to have their own money at this point and you know you're convincing me yeah i would have put that on the kid like i would have said i would have thought the kid would have said hey dad bob uh wants me to walk the dog is that are you you know and care wouldn't and if you had plans
that you already had for your kid, wouldn't your kid say, oh, can't do it then. My dad's got plans for me. Of course. Well, yeah, but I think the adult needs to be held responsible as well. I mean, I would definitely have a talk with my kid and be like, hey, if anybody ever offers you... It's just a walking scooter. It's not like a big deal. 100%. I got to add that up. Yeah, please. 570-1053. I really don't get it. Eddie, I agree with you 100%. If I was a mom, if that was my kid, I'd flip. P1 mom's on the phone. Let's ask her. Hello. Hi. I have four kids, and I would question the communication between the kid and the mom because, like, when my son, when he was a young teenager, the guy across the street offered to have him do construction with him at his house, and he came home. Hey, Mom, you know, Chuck asked me if I wanted to, you know, get paid to do some stuff with him on the weekend. So, it's surprising that the son didn't come home and say, hey, I can make some extra money walking the dog. Well, yeah, no, it is, it is. Because Bob probably assumed that the kid would go home and say, hey, guess what, I can make some extra money. How come she had to notice he had extra spending money? Yeah, but shouldn't Bob have maybe also said...
Now, you have to ask your parents first. I don't want to do this unless your parents are okay with it. I think that that would have been wise to do. Sure. Absolutely. But the fact that he didn't doesn't bother me only because he's got a friendly relationship with the father. And it's like, oh, yeah, let me give little Billy here a little something to do. Now his name is Billy. Billy and Scooter. Billy Walk Scooter. It's not hard to figure out, Sky. It's pretty easy. You know, this isn't a circle. He won Rusty T. Rusty T. Hey, Mike. What's up? Good. I think this is just like a Bronx tale, you know? He starts off just... carrying little... See? It's the mafia, dude. It's the mafia. It is. Starts out... It's a legitimate point. Starts out all little stuff. I always knew I wanted to be a gangster. It escalates. That's a legitimate point. It escalates. A man in my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous.
That's all I'm trying to say. He's boosting cigarette trucks next. Exactly. Hey, kid, you took your first pinch like a man, all right? P1 Derek. Yeah. What's going on? How's it going, Mike? Good, man. Good, Derek. I was just going to say that when I was 13, I went out looking for a job, and I actually got a job as a busboy. And I was actually just cleaning my parents, and they were happy for me just making extra money. I mean, 13, I don't think it's that young enough where you don't understand, you know, what a... you know, little job is because you're, well, we got to be, we got to point out like, this isn't a job working at, you know, Domino's down the street. Right. This is a job where you're working for the neighbor. Yeah. You know, and so that, I think there's this implied sense of courtesy and respect from your neighbor going. My parents had no idea that I would, I would start little businesses all the time. Yeah. Like around, around Christmas time. We, on Miller Ave and Gilroy, they would have mistletoe trees. I would cut down mistletoe and I'd wrap them up and I would sell them door to door and make money by selling mistletoe. You were stealing mistletoe. Public mistletoe. You are a juvenile delinquent. I made a lot of money.
Quarter of a million. Quarter of a million dollars in summer. Real good. That was year one. Year one. Then he invested in some stocks and lost it all. Put together a business plan. Take that, mom and dad. Yeah. I'm moving out. If you want Pringles. Hi, Pringles. Hey, what's up? Can't have just one of you, you rascal. Look at you. Do you have to say that every time he calls? That's right. It's true, though. He's called before? Yeah, I say it every time I call. Go ahead, Pringles. I was just calling in to say, well, I'm 18 right now, and I used to do the same thing Eddie did. Like, there's mistletoe trees right down the street, mistletoe crawling all over the street. This is my business partner. And my parents didn't care. I mean, it's kind of different because I live in a gated community.
If you're in a gay community, it doesn't matter whether you're in a gay community. We don't judge gay kids. They still like mistletoe. You said gay did. But the kid's 13 and he's just walking a dog. I don't see a big deal about that. You're missing the point. Pringles. Yeah. You don't think that there's any question, though, of, like, common courtesy? It's your neighbor? Oh, yeah. Well, well. I don't know. See, that's my problem. I have no problem with if my kid like gets lemons off a tree, makes lemonade sets up a little stand and goes, look what I did. But the fact that an adult approached my child and propositioned. What if the neighbor said, I'm going to open a lemonade stand and I want you to work it. You'd be like, hey, can you give me a heads up on my kid working your stand? I wouldn't care if I know Bob and I know Bob's a good guy. I don't care. Is that it? Yeah. Because growing up, like, I, when I was 13, 12, I was a working machine. I had, like, literally 40 babysitting clients. I was training. You did not babysit 40 children at one time. 40 clients. How could she have 40? I counted. 40 clients.
With like eight of them? Yeah, it was 14 actually. Swear on my grandpa. Swear on my grandpa. Because I'm not lying, 40 clients. I remember because I counted one time and I was like, oh my gosh, I have 40 clients. Every single weekend I was babysitting. Don't swear on your grandpa. Don't anymore. And I was training. Swear on Sammy because we don't care about Sammy. Everyone's hoping that you're lying then. And I was training my neighbor's dogs too. So I was, like, doing all sorts of stuff. And it was up to me to tell my parents. And you had 40 clients? 40 clients, Mike. I kid you not. In my mom's address book, she probably still has it. I'll show you. It was probably random, right? Like. you know, some random Saturday you work for this guy. I was like booked every weekend babysitting for sure. She had a different job every five minutes because if you do the math on that one. You're reading too much into it. 40 clients. You're reading too much into it. 40 clients. You're like the Heidi Fleiss of babysitting. I was real good because then people would like recruit me, you know, they would like go tell their friends and then they'd call me. But it was up to me to tell my parents that I'm doing this. And then they tell a friend.
You know what I mean, Sky? It wasn't like the babysitting client was calling my parents and was like, can your kid babysit or train my dog? I hear you, but that's different. If this 13-year-old had a dog-walking business and his parents knew that and then people called him, to me that's different than just going up to a kid. So what if Billy goes up to Bob and goes, hey, hey, Bob. You want me to walk scooter for you? And he's like, yeah, sure. Here's a quarter, kid. Enjoy. A quarter? Whatever. Two bits. Six pence. None the richer. I don't know, man. I don't like it. I don't think I like it. I can still be swayed. 5701053. P1 Brian wants to give his two bits. Go ahead, Brian. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Not too much, man. Sky was under the assumption that maybe Bob has kids that are in college or too young to walk the dog, and maybe the kid was just passing by and saying, hey, I'll walk the dog. Money to a 13-year-old is everything. Catch the ice cream man when he comes around then. Yeah, but I don't know because I wasn't there, but I think if that's the way it went down, I don't think his, was it the dad or the mom that wrote? I don't know. I don't think one of his parents would have wrote us if the kid propositioned the dude. I'll tell you, listen.
Every once in a while, I'll be all thinking about something like this. I can't figure it out. And then I look up at my call screener, and the answer's sitting right there. It's just plain as day. Why didn't I think of that? P1 Porter, you there? Yeah. What's up, Mikey? Not too much. You have a crazy suggestion. Well, I don't see why it has to be either really laid back or extremely high tense. Why can't the guy just go, you know, walk the dog with his kid one day, just check it out, see what he's doing? And if he's not comfortable with that, if he still wants further investigation, go talk to his neighbor, Bob. Well, that's not what the call screener said you were going to say. Oh, no. Up on my screen, it says that what he was going to say was. Yeah, yeah. Why don't you just go talk to the neighbor? Yeah. Well, thank you. There you go. Thank you, Porter. And scene. Thank you, Porter. Let's roll. It's a great idea. How about, you know, we're trying to figure out here. But it's already done, though. Yeah, go talk to him and say, hey. What's your problem? You may be starting something that's not there. No, you don't have to be a jerk.
No, you go over there. You go over there. You say, you know, you grab him by the shirt collar. You say, hey, listen. Hey, hey, fella. You shake him a little bit. You just get some paint. You go over, you start painting his house. And when he comes over, he goes, hey, what are you doing? You're painting my house. You're not going to say nothing to me. You go, oh, you're making my kid work, and you're not going to say nothing to me. That's a great. A little bit of a hothead. I figured I would do something for you, too. Yeah, here's a little favor. There you go. I have a little question I want to ask you guys. No. Would it make any difference if it was his daughter? Mike. Yes. Creepy. Interesting. I mean, I was already out on it, so I'm doubly out on it now. You're doubly out. She shouldn't be walking a dog. Eddie, would that make a difference for you? Shut your mouth. Yeah, it would, right? Yeah. Creepy, right? Forget it. Creepy. Yeah, I don't like that. You know, this day and age, it's creepy. It doesn't matter. It depends on the situation, I think. It would make me uncomfortable. See? Give me the situations, Ash. I would say it depends on how well you know Bob. Is Bob married? Does he have kids? Do you ever hang out with Bob? How close the neighbors are, you guys? Does he have a van is a great question. What if your son, Eddie, is very effeminate? Okay, get out of here. Now how do you feel about it? How do you feel about it now? Sky got you there. Okay, what? Sky.
You don't need to flex. Skye, you have told us that you would allow your son to wear a dress if he wanted to. How would you feel about your dress-wearing son if he got hired to work for the neighbor? He's walking scooter in a dress. How do you feel about that? Well, I was out on it from the beginning, so I'm out on any of the scenarios unless they come to me first. Okay. It doesn't matter what he's wearing. You're not the boss of me. Tough mom. She's a tough mom. You're not my real mom. No, I am. You're not my real mom. I actually am. Let's see. P1 Diet Coke heads online. Good morning, my babies. Good morning. I agree with Sky. Mark the calendar. Dang it. I agree with Sky. Nah, this is the second time you've agreed with Sky this year. Oh, is it? Yeah, we worked it down. We're so BFF. Oh, totally. Let's go see Twilight. Soulmate. No, I agree with her because have any of you talked to a 13-year-old boy? Well, I was one. I don't know if you know this. Yeah, but there's a couple of guys on the show. It's like saying, have you ever met a girl before Diet Coke had? Michael. Sorry.
They are, it is impossible to get information from teenage boys unless you're talking about music, sports, or video games. I mean, my nephew is 14, and he's a smart kid, he's a great kid, but he is the king of the one-word answer. So I think that Bob should have, I mean, regardless of if this kid is a blabbermouth or not, you've got to talk to the parents. A 13-year-old is not an adult. They can't make it. He probably didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal. Well, that's his bad. And it isn't. Put his thinking cap on. It isn't that big of a deal. I think it was Sky or someone else said, you don't know what that kid has planned. You don't know what their activities are. You wave money in front of a teenager, they're going to do whatever. When my nephew was, he wasn't even a teenager. He was like three. He played this thing called peewee sports. And they asked him what number he wanted to be. And he said, can't I just be the dollar sign? Now, what is a, you know, these kids are going to get a job.
At some point. I don't understand Diet Cokehead. So the kid's got a job. Well, shouldn't we be applauding this kid for even wanting to work? Work ethic, homie. Most of us are complaining that our kids don't want to do anything. Sitting around playing video games, Mike. Look at this kid. He's out there trying to earn a win. I'm not saying anything against that. And I think it's awesome that this kid's going to walk this guy's dog. It's not the fault of the kid. They don't think that way. You don't know how we think. That's right. We're thinking about the economy, bro. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Very nice. You don't know. I mean, they don't volunteer information. Teenagers are sneaky little things. They don't volunteer information. How dare you. You untrusting. That's not true. How dare you. That's not true. I was a teenager. I was too, but I didn't do that. I wasn't. I can't relate to any of this. I'll just say that right off the bat. You surprised her when you caught her eye across the room. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love Wookiees. Sky. I don't know anything. Boston Rock. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. A little spirit of radio. My second favorite song. What's your first? Trees. It's a very hippie song. Thank you. It's very hippie. It's 8.53, and I want to remind you that for Valentine's Day, we're doing something very special. You can nominate a couple to go to dinner on Pample Moose Grill. All you have to pay for is booze, tax, and tip. Nice. That's still good. Classy place, man. It's a classy place. Yeah, you know, because...
You know, these are tough times. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Time for people to make money. Yeah. So, uh, there's all the help we can get. Yeah. So you go there and you have a delicious dinner. Yeah. Have some dinner. It's on them. What do you recommend? I recommend truffle fries. Oh, please. Yeah. So good. Oh, yeah. They're real good. No, Skye, you actually said, oh, they're pretty good. They are. They are the best. I think Mike hyped them up a little bit. They're the best fries I've ever had. They're the best fries I've ever had. I'm not going to lie. They're the best fries I've ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Okay. Sky has a little explaining to do. I didn't do anything, Mike. Oh, you faked a story of a woman swimming across the Atlantic. You faked. I knew it. I knew it. You were trying to make the women race look better than us. Yeah, the race. Well, a few days ago, it was a news story that the first woman ever had swam across the Atlantic. You were so proud wearing your I Swam Across the Atlantic t-shirt. That's right. I went wrong. Yeah, you do. You're a woman. I mean, I do. You have to.
That's weird. And it turns out that that was not entirely true. Oh, this is the worst. Yeah, when we read the story, it was that she swam 2,100 miles in 25 days being escorted alongside her by a boat that she would just get on and sleep at nighttime. But then experts started thinking about it, and they said if Michael Phelps swam at his fastest for 20 days straight. never sleeping, never stopping at his fastest pace, he still wouldn't be able to do 21. Yeah. It's a scam. So it turns out that this chick did swim, but she would then get on the boat and sail a little and then get back and swim a little and then sail a little. That's not doing it. And so this woman says, well, she never lied about it. She wasn't the one who put the story out there, but they're like, but you never denied the story. Yeah, I like doing interviews for being the woman to do it. So it is not true. Unbelievable. That record still has not been broken. I thought it was weird when she was going on interviews going, you know, it was really a breeze.
And I'd do it again. She was all, you know, when I hit Hawaii, it was sad. Not exactly, lady. Yeah. I hate that stuff. Man. I've done it a million times where I've told people that I swam across the Atlantic when in reality I really swam across the Atlantic. You really named your pool the Atlantic? That's right. You're not lying. Eddie has this. Now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Well, we announced this yesterday, and it is true. It's official. Brett Favre calls it quits. He announced yesterday that the time was right for him to step down and away from the game of football. And we're all, you know, reeling from these things. I think he's a phony. Rob. Wow. Wow. Do you think? That was not cool. He was not cool. He was a phony. At what? Oh. Quitting. You've got a point, actually. But he was on a teleconference yesterday talking about it. It doesn't matter one way or the other. You know, it all comes down to physically how I feel, and I don't feel like I... Physically, you look great, Brett. Once again, that could change based on, you know, arthroscopic surgery or whatever, but I'm not willing to do that, and I'm not willing to take that chance.
And that more than anything is why I'm retiring. But no, we didn't. What's the matter with him? You've got spurs somewhere? Little chips? Yeah, he's got a lot of spurs and chips. Yeah. You know, I'm doing it. Chips and spurs. And, you know, maybe part of me. The handsome part. Oh, this is all over. Was fueled by maybe the wrong reasons. I went into... Is he driving a Chevy Silverado and doing this interview at the same time? It's rugged. Whatever the most rugged truck is. New York. No differently than... I picture him. The guy's mud. Yes. I picture him in a mud-filled Chevy truck with a gun rack doing this interview. And he's got a load of bricks in the back. Because he's going to make some. Yeah, he's going to make some. Obviously. And I had every intention of leading that team's victory. I did everything I possibly could do on and off the field. I believe that. To see that that would happen. I got to feed some cattle, so I got to go. I got a bunch of alfalfa. Empty Coors cans all over the cabin. Everywhere. You're such a man. It's legal to do that in Mississippi. That's right. I didn't know. Wrangler jeans. Yeah. So goodbye, number four. I will always have a place in my heart for you. That's right. And my pants. All right. I'm holding.
Come on, everybody. It's not gay. It's just one guy. Wait, you're saying if it's just one guy, it's not gay. If it's just one, it's not gay. No, that still makes it kind of gay. You're Mike. You don't know. Okay. This is really popular. These are all funny jokes. We make ha-has. They're a little ha-has. Relax. All right. Plaxico Burris' agent had sent an email to every NFL team saying, yeah, you guys should trade for Plaxico. Are you serious? Are you serious? He's available? And Giants are like, no, he's not. He's still on our team. Really? Yeah. What? Which is really bizarre. That's weird. Just a really bizarre way to handle that situation. And I got to say, viva la rica! What is he doing? The U.S. beat Mexico 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier. Oh, nice. It's a riot. We own Mexico. They are 9-0-2 on U.S. soil. Eddie at KIOZ.com. That's right. You get eight.
We're 9-0-2 against the Mexicans since 2000. So we own Mexico. Totally. It makes me uncomfortable when you say that. I'm sorry. It's a fact. In a showdown for the Mountain West top spot, the Aztecs lost to Utah 67-55 yesterday. Jacksonville cut two of their top 08 free agents, releasing Drayton Florence and Jerry Porter. And in college basketball's biggest rivalry, it continued last night as North Carolina beat Duke 101-87. And here is Tyler Hansborough on going 4-0 in his career against Duke. Well, it's up there with all of them. I think any time you do something with the team, it's a special honor. It's not an easy place to play. Tonight we came out, and the first half, things were going away. And the second half, we really picked it up. Wow, I sound excited. Wow, that's a huge rivalry, man. Those guys go crazy for that. It's not easy. It's not easy. Thank you, Hillary. It's very difficult for them to do what they did. That's the biggest rivalry. I just wish that I understood a little bit more about it.
Next month, everybody's going to be all jacked up, and I don't know what's going on. March Madness, baby! Oh, snap. Sky knows how to pick them. Yeah. Well, Mike knows. Remember that one year? At the brackets? She just did it based on colors and mascots. Oh, that's the best way to pick. That's not knowing. She runs the whole thing. Yeah, I would think that North Carolina Duke is one of the biggest rivalries in sports, for sure. Do you like one of them more than the other? No, I don't. I don't. If I were to pick... I would probably err towards North Carolina just because I like the players that come out of there a little bit more. But I really like Coach Krzyzewski and Duke. Something that you just said hit me. Wow. You think that Duke and North Carolina is a bigger sports rivalry. Then the Yankees and the Red Sox. Now you're putting words in my mouth. I did not say that. I didn't hear him say that. Did I say that? Why did you say that, Eddie? I did not say that. Pull the clip. Pull the clip. What did you say? It is one of the biggest rivalries. But I don't know that Yankees-Red Sox is the biggest rivalry. We do know that. The Giants-Dodgers. It's a what? Giants-Dodgers. It's a big rivalry, but it's not bigger than Yankees-Red Sox. Yeah, not even close. You shush.
Cowboys, Redskins? That's a gigantic one. Cowboys and Indians. Yeah, that's... No, she's definitely not on the same page. They don't get along. Chapter, even, really. We're just, you know, we've got different books in our hands. What's going on? What's up? No, I don't know. I would say... You're thinking more like Randy Orton, John Cena? Eddie. Okay, you're so dumb. That's fine. Hey, that's fine. Who do you think? Rob, obviously. Red Sox. If you had to put that aside, who do you think is the biggest rivalry in sports? Stuff exists. What? I don't think they're at. Oh, man. Celtics, Lakers. I don't disagree with that, Rob. Celtics, Lakers? That's a huge rivalry. Wasn't it back in the 80s? It's starting up again. Really? Because they're both good again.
What about the Raiders? Do they have a big rival? Everybody. The Chargers, they have a huge rivalry with the Broncos, with the Chiefs. Do the Padres have a real rivalry? It's the Dodgers. It's the Dodgers. It is not. It's Giants-Dodgers. But the Giants-Dodgers are a bigger rivalry to Dodger fans. So for us in San Diego, yeah. We're like wanting for someone to really have a rivalry with us. Fight us. No one really cares. No one will do it. Right. That is crazy. We can't start a kiss fight. Wait, a kiss fight. To save our lives. Make up the kiss pump. That's right. Let's see. Sky has a list of the top anti-romantic movies of all time. Yeah, so if you're not in love this Valentine's Day. Alien. If you're hating, you may want to. Sleep is an anti-romantic movie. Monster. When Harry met Sally. Monster. Sleepers. Sleepers. Scarface. When Harry met Billy. That's weird. Have you ever seen it? No. I have not. I have not seen that one. Okay, then.
Then don't judge. Very bad things. Give me one, Sky. Give me an anti. Very bad things is number three on the list. Oh, I get it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Blue chips. Well, no, Eddie, that's not. Eight seconds. Too soon. He's not dead. Yeah, he died. Who? The guy that movie's about. Oh, I haven't seen it. Oh, no. For a second, I thought you were talking about... Luke Perry? Dylan. No. Not Dylan. His career is dead. Yes. Give me an example, Sky. Give me one on the list. Number 10 is sex, lies, and videotape. So it's like scare you out of... Love. Love. Fear. Yeah, fear. That would be a great one, but no, not top 10. Okay. But that's a great one. It should be, Ashley. Swim fan. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right?
Isn't that one about stalkerism? It is. It's just random. Fatal Attraction. Fatal Attraction. That is the number one movie, Ashley. I was trying to think of it. My brain wouldn't come up with it. Indecent Disclosure. Oh. Indecent Disclosure. Fargo. Indecent Disclosure. Wait. No. What about Brokeback Mountain? Oh. Not in the top ten. It's a love story. Too soon. Too soon. Gosh. Bull Durham. What? You heard me. Okay. Ghost. Whisperer. No, that's a good one. That's a love story. I know, but he dies. Okay. Oh, I haven't seen the end of that. Oh, no. Ashley. Son of a gun. Great. Kazam. Oh, yeah. Kazam. Can you check and see if it's on? Oh, hey, Shaq. Hey, Shaq. That was a good guess. That's a great guess. Okay. What movie have you been in? All right. Start talking smack to Kobe. Sky, give me one more. Number nine is a movie called Happiness. Oh, dude. Oh, dude. You know what? Let me tell you. I have not watched it just based on Eddie's, like, Eddie's told me that it's just fluffy. Yeah, you're not old enough to see that movie, Mike. No. The Abyss.
That was a love story, wasn't it? What? The Abyss. Was it? Yeah. They love water? That's right. Okay. They love water. What about Pee-wee's Big Adventure? Oh, interesting. Check the list. Wendy, get real. Come on. Oh, Kill Bill. Volume 2. Pee-wan Leonidas. Good morning, cast and crew. Good morning. My guess would be Showgirls. Ooh, good guess. I think that's a very romantic movie. I don't know what you're talking about. That's right. Basic Instinct. Oh, oh, oh, dude. Way to go, Mike. He said, what about? What about Bob? What about Bob? What about Bob? Cape Fear. Yes. Give me another one. Number eight is Leaving Las Vegas. Oh, yeah. For sure. That's very romantic. He loves booze. Trying to think of a name. Raging Bull. That's a good one. Dances with Wolves. Two. Dazed and Confused. Waterworld? Jaws. Do you guys give up? Do you give up? Yeah. I give up. How many do we have? How many are left? Enchanted. Five. You're missing five. Oh, you love it, Eddie. Beautiful girls. Wow. I get tricked into seeing that. All right, we give up. I don't know. Number seven is closer.
Closer? Philadelphia. Oh, Eddie, we saw the play for Closer in New York City. Yeah, your wife hated it. She hated it. Oh, no, that was Gary Glenn Ross. Oh, that's right. She fell asleep. Just me and you go see Closer. We are queer. It was so awful. It was your choice. It was your choice. You wanted it more than I did. That's a weird thing to say. Number six, Cruel Intentions. Oh, yes. That's what, yes. Never seen it. Number five, Dangerous Liaisons. Adam Sandler. Never seen it. Oh, Eight Crazy Nights. Number four, What's Love Got to Do With It? Oh, come on. Click. And then number two is Sid and Nancy. What? And then even though we just went through the top 10, I do have to do an honorable mention for number 17 on the list, Kramer versus Kramer. The one time it's on the list, Mike does not say that. Are you serious?
Of Kramer vs. Kramer. That's really on the list? Number 17. Mike. How did I not say it? The thousands of lists we guessed at in the one time. I know, the one time. The Incredible Shrinking Woman. Oh, that's a great movie with Lily Tomlin. Dude, when she's in the garbage disposal. The best, dude. Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Amy Adams was... Amy Adams. She was just in that movie with... Doubt. Doubt. You're on the air. Oh, she's so upset with herself. Couldn't be so upset with herself. I tried to catch her before she. Yeah. Amy Adams. She's the redhead from Enchanted. Yes. What else was she in? June? Junebug. Junebug. Great movie. Never seen it. She's also the love interest to... Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights. And... She was also the love interest to John Krasinski on The Office. Oh, that's right. Oh, wow. The girl that sold the purses. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And she's just been in this movie with... Meryl Streep. Meryl Streep. I love the Meryl Streep. And also the guy with the three names, Philip Seymour Hoffman. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Mike. So here she is talking about what... It's called Doubt. That's right. This is her talking about what she...
taught Meryl Streep in the movie Doubt. I was just so excited that I knew something, that Meryl Streep did. It's like the only thing in my two times of working with her. And I couldn't think of anything more valuable to know, really. That she could play Pam. If I were casting, she's very likable. Amy Adams is a real likable girl. You guys ever wonder, like, what makes a person on a movie or whatever, what is it about him that we do like? Like John Krasinski. Star quality. Yes, what is John Krasinski's star quality?
He's affable. That's right. That you can relate to them, you know? That's right. Journey tribute band called Lights. We have rugby tickets this hour. And Terrence Howard and T.I. are both taking back their comments about Chris Brown. And the Chris Brown radio backlash has begun. Tell you about that next. This is the Mikey Show. That's still pretty jammed up off the 78 down at Villarancho Parkway. And it's causing a slowdown on the eastbound 78 through San Marcos, just trying to get to that busy 15. Other than that, the rest of our freeways are pretty much up to speed, looking pretty good. Border waits down to about an hour and a half now in San Ysidro. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Wake up. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. I think I have a fever. I haven't, listen, I've had a, I'm still on antibiotics. I've been on antibiotics for a month and a half. Mike. What are you, Skye? Started with Z-Pak. What's going on?
with you, buddy. And why is that funny? Like, I don't even get the joke. I haven't heard Rob all day. If it's a Sky joke, he's laughing. A Sky joke that doesn't even make sense. He's dying. Yeah, you're always taking the antibiotics. I took them for like a week because I got bad spider bites. Anyway, I'm sorry, Mike. Why are you still on antibiotics? Let me see your spider bites now. Oh, yeah. What happened? What's going on? It's skyder bites. Thank you. I used to say that to girls, too. Let's see. Let's see. What do we got working? Show one, show all. Here we go. It's gone. Yeah, there's still some discoloration. Yeah, it's gone. There's a little something, something. Yeah, it's not bad. I need sinus surgery. Do it. Yes, you do. I do. You'll be fine. That's why the doctor's been telling you that. How much are you looking to spend? My dad got it. It changed his life. Did it really? You don't understand. My dad has an awesome set of power. You don't understand. Does your dad have to still take anything or did he get to stop once he had the surgery? You know what? I don't know, but he literally said even after the surgery happened, even though his nose was all swollen and there was gauze all up in it, he said that he felt like he could breathe better than he did before the surgery. Really? Breathe again.
Breathe again. Breathe again. Well, I cannot get rid of this sinus infection. Telling you. I've taken Z-Pak, then I took something else. Now I'm taking something else. You take too many antibiotics. Yeah, you shouldn't do that. Dude, I've been taking antibiotics since Christmas. Yeah, you gotta go all natural out, man. Herbs, tea. Body build it up. Yeah, tea. Drink some tea. Vitamin C. Get rid of it. Pancakes. Yeah. Pancakes. Crepes. Yeah. Some crepes. Oh, you're fancy. I am. You can afford it. Well, and then I want to tell Wendy, because I have a doctor's appointment today, and I want to tell Wendy, my trainer, that I don't want to go in, but I'm afraid that she'll think I'm a wuss and that I'm faking it. I totally hurt my... She's not listening. I know she isn't listening. She listens earlier. She's in the gym. So you're safe. So you just don't want to go? I do. For real. You just want to take a nap? What's the truth though, Mike? The truth is I want to stick one of those temperature gauges in my ear. Listen, I'll shave my head. I'll go home today, shave my head. Just give me some of your clothes and I'll go. Okay, that's weird. What just happened? You're about 40 pounds lighter than me. Like, this place is working awesome. Oh my goodness. All right, what are we doing right now? Didn't we say we were going to come back and tell people about, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to play a game for rugby tickets. We are?
Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. Sounds like a really good idea. Come on, Mike. Terrence Howard, do you guys remember that he made some comments? He made these comments. Take a listen. It's just life, man. Chris is a great guy, man. He'll be all right. And Rihanna knows he loves her. He'll be all right. Chris, everybody got to get out of their way. Okay. Hey, homeboy. Yeah. It's not just life. It's not. Yeah. Yeah. That's terrible. So what's the deal, Sky? Well, so, yeah, he said that, and then it made news because everybody's like, that is so insensitive. That's such a stupid thing to say. Like, how could he say that? I'm glad you're out of Iron Man. Wow. Maybe he's still in character from that Thugs movie that he was in. Oh, Hustle and Flow. Yeah, Hustle and Flow. Yeah, Hustle and Flow. Yeah, Hustle and Flow. Why did I think it was Thugs something? You know, that movie, Bones, Thugs, and Harmony. Oh, yeah. That's a good movie, Mike. I love that one. So Terrence Howard said that when they asked him about Chris Brown the other day, he didn't even know what he had been accused of. And had he had known the details, he would never have said something so insensitive. Why is he saying something if he doesn't even know what happened? Yeah. You dummy. You know what I'm saying? You dummy. Demi. You jerk. Yeah, but now there's this little radio backlash starting with Chris Brown, which is a new thing.
Two different radio stations, one in Indianapolis and one in Cleveland, have completely pulled Chris Brown's music from their playlist. Wow. I feel completely split on it. Eddie, you can talk me out of here. How? You know, if you're going to pull Chris Brown's music, then you're going to have to pull... O.J. Simpson songs? Yeah. I would say probably 75% of your playlist. Michael Jackson music can't be played. Dude, right? Wow, but he was never convicted, right? There's so many artists that have been in trouble with the law. Yeah. Chris Brown hasn't been out of trial. Exactly. So I think that's kind of garbage. And what is every hip hop station just going to go off the air? Yeah, exactly. Like how many of those guys have been in trouble with the law? Talk me into it. Well, see, I'm out. I'm like out on Chris Brown. And I think the reason it's different between Chris Brown and all the other rappers who have done shady stuff is because America loves Rihanna.
You know, she's kind of one of America's sweethearts right now, in my opinion. Like, people love Rihanna. And so, since you kind of feel like you know the person who has been abused, it seems so much more severe than just one of their girlfriends that they hit. Because you don't know that girl. She's just some chick. I've only seen Rihanna on the album cover of her album that Umbrella's on. Yeah. Outside of that. Yeah. Never seen her ever. Really? She's really young. She's like 19. I think so. But has she been 19 for like four years? She's still 19. She's timeless. It's interesting to see if this trend is going to continue of radio stations pulling his music or if it's just going to fizzle out. He's huge right now. He has so many hits. But these radio stations say when they play his stuff, people call and complain. People are angry right now. I don't blame them in one way. Can they suspend his music? Would you be okay with that? Maybe. You know, like getting all upset with Ozzy biting the head off a bat.
Not anymore. Well, Rob, that was 30 years ago. Yeah, it was 34 years ago. The ones that are still alive, I think, are probably still upset about it. But most of the people, when it happened, they've died by now. What about John Lennon comparing the Beatles to Jesus? Yeah, what about that? Let's get rid of those Beatles. That's a relevant example. How about the 9-11 stuff? We're pulling songs for that. That's right. What about when people were rioting at John Wick's booths? Come on now. I don't even understand. Gosh, you are really on one today. I almost lost my life. Don't talk with your mouth full. You're a mess right now. Will you swallow your food before you come back? This guy got scratched by a cat yesterday. She says, barely. I almost got murdered. It makes you reevaluate everything. Wow, that's crazy. That's pretty boring. I've done some stuff in my time. You have not. That's a good point. Alright, Ashley, where do I find this? This is a special Valentine's edition of Tone Deaf Territory today. Yes, they are in green and red. Front, kind of center.
Front page? Front page, like bottom, kind of left. That's cute, the green and red. That's nice. We were just running out of colors. Colors. You have put these in a way. They're different because I ran out of room on the wall. You know I can't do different. Oh, man, Mike. All right, I'll switch it. I'll try. I can fix it for you. Man, I hope I don't mess this up. Let me fix it for you. Hard enough for the guy. I got you. I'm working with a disability. I'm not smart. All right, there you go. Oh, that's still really confusing. Oh, no. I'll figure it out. I'll figure it out. Let's give this a shot. All right. All right. First up today is P1 Lee. Hi, how you doing, Mike? I'm good, man. How you doing? I'm all right. Do you have a fever? All right, well, let's try this, okay? That might help you to know. I mean, since this is a Valentine's Day edition, these are love songs. Oh, hello. These are love songs because, yeah, and it's already, it's a little hard to understand sometimes with Ashley singing. Whoa. Okay. But you get a little help. You don't need to do that. I think you get a little help because you at least know. Yeah.
That it's the Valentine's edition. Not that you need help. Not that you need help. All right, Ashley. Thank you. Yeah. All right. Well, listen to the entire clip, P1 Lee. Yeah. And then tell us what the song is. Here we go. Look into my eyes and you will see. Creepy. Look into my jaw. Saw five. That was wrong. That wasn't right. That was. Slag me right in my face. No, that was a good one. I liked it. Come on. Wow. P1 Lee. No idea. Are you kidding me? What? It's kind of like she was whispering. That's true. She was. It's a romantic voice. Hello. It was Brian Adams. You gorgeous. Canadian. Oh. You Canadian. Ashley. Thank you. Is this Ashley or Brian Adams? I think this is Brian Adams. Oh, okay.
Well, either way is great. It's hard to tell. It's hard to tell. This is great. P1 Lilo is on the line. Not too much, Lilo. Are you ready to do this? I'm ready to do this. All right, man. It's the Valentine's edition of Ashley's Tone Deaf Karaoke. All right. Listen to the entire clip before giving us a guess. You ready? All right. Title or artist? You know, not a lot of people can hit that note. That particular note. Yeah. Special something. Lilo, what was it? It was... Very close. It was Hoobastang. We like this song. We were going to a concert one time with our... It was me and Rebecca. We were going to this concert with our friends Erica and her husband Todd. Oh, the Snackenbergs? The Snackenbergs. And I thought this song was great, right? And so, out of nowhere, he's like...
Have you guys heard that song by Hoobastank? And I go, yeah. He goes, man, that is gay. And I was like, oh, yeah. Terribly gay, right? That's a good song. I won't like it anymore. P1J Mac. What's up, Mikey? Not too much. You ready to do this? Yeah, let's give it a shot. Listen to the whole clip and then give me title or artist to win. Here we go. I'm already at this. Eddie. Sucked in. No, I wasn't going to say sucked in. I do. P1J Mac. Dude, that was my girl butchering Aerosmith. That is correct. That's right. Ashley, are you from Boston? Boston. Steven Tyler can hit higher notes than a girl. Ashley, you're the best. There are certain movies that I refuse to ever see. I will not see. Don't you say that. Don't you say it. I won't do it. What's your problem? What is your problem?
It's that guy that does them. That guy that does them. Michael Bay? No. Jerry Bruckheimer. Yeah. Won't watch them. Well, Sky, come on now. It's a meteor. They're trying to, come on. Bruce Willis? Dude. Ben Affleck? Like, what more do you need, bro? Steve Buscemi? Oh, come on. Come on. Come on. You want Greg? Yeah, what's up, Mikey? Not too much, dude. You ready to do this? I am. All right, listen to this clip of Ashley singing. And when it's all done, just give me the name of the song or the name of the artist to win. Here we go. Oh, come on. That's pretty irritating. Girl, you stand. I'm forever yours. I can't be a part of this. You want Greg? Was it Journey? Yes, it was. From me to you. I bet Shauna is really upset right now. I think the world is upset. That's right. Disrespectfully. One of the greatest songs ever. You got that right, mister. Thank you. Thank you very much. Actually, he means Journey, not you. Thank you. He meant Journey is the deal. Hang on the line, you rugby fan. Rascals. You rascal. Hang on a minute. Yeah, he won tickets. People that won are going to see rugby. Where's rugby? Where is it? I think it's at Qualcomm.
I'll double check. It's a huge thing. Much more. Is that Pecco? It may be Pecco. You're right. I bet Rob would be a good rugby player. Oh, my boys played rugby. He would be smashing faces. Yeah, because he wouldn't mind getting kicked in the mouth, you know? I would mind kicking some people in the mouth. You know what I mean? Let me try. He's that kind of guy. Hey, Rob, let us kick you in the mouth. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love the show. I listen to you guys every single day. So many things can go wrong with your car. Well, the ride's looking pretty good right now, but we do have reports of some rain coming down in parts of the county, and that's to make the roadway slick enough to cause some problems, so be careful out there. South 15, still pretty jammed up out of Escondido off the 78 down at Villarancho Parkway. And watch for a stall in the slow lane, westbound 52 near the 5 connector. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show.
Hey, people, I'm Brad. What's up, Brad? I went to sleep frame, got myself one of the freaking nicest mattresses there. They gave me it for less than half price. What kind of mattress? I got the Sturgeon Foster Silver Green. That's the one I have. That thing is supposed to be like $69.95 or something. I think I got it out the door $28.50. I got it for $3,200 and then somebody else at another store beat up my price. So they came back and beat it by 5%. Damn. That's nice. And they gave me free mattress cover. What is it? Free pillow cover. What size did you get? A twin? Or what did you get? I got the California King. Oh. Oh, you big pimp. Ashley's in. Oh, dude. It's pretty comfortable, huh? I'm still waiting to get it. I have a roommate that's moving out soon that's going to go in that room. Oh, it's the greatest bed ever. That's the mattress I sleep on. It was so freaking comfortable at the showroom. Yeah. Did you get in there and take a nap and take pictures? We love you, Brad. Thank you, Brad. We'll see you.
I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Now, with what's up in your world, this is The Mikey Show 360. The Mikey Show 360. Well, here's the idea. The idea behind it is, what are people talking about? What's, like, the big news out there that people are all talking about? I'll tell you one thing is, did you know about this kid that we played on the air yesterday? Remember the kid, the Obama kid? Very enthusiastic. Very, very enthusiastic. All right, right here, the guy with the cap. Oh, it's such a blessing to see you, Mr. President. Thank you for taking time out of your day. That's right. Oh, gracious God, thank you so much. Wow. All right, what's the question? All right, Mr. President, my name is Julio Acegueda. I'm currently a student at Edison State College in my second semester. And, okay, I've been at the same job, which is McDonald's, for four and a half years.
Because of the fact that I can't find another job. Now, with the fact that I've been there for as long as I've been there, do you have any plan or any idea of making one that has been there for a long time receive any better benefits than what they've already received? The thing that I'm really interested in is you say you're going to school. What are you studying? I'm looking to study and majoring in communications, hopefully being a broadcaster or a disc jockey. Well, you sound like you've got a good communication skill. Thank you so much. You got good communication skills. Well, it wasn't written on a cue card, Eddie. Can we not do that right now? Please. I just thought of something. Well, first I want to know what the deal is. And then I got to tell you. And Sky, you didn't even bring this story up. And I saw it yesterday and I was like, I'm sure she'll bring this up. Well, okay. Well, one thing at a time, Mike. Please. So this kid. has gotten two job offers. Really? Yeah, since his appearance on the new album. Wendy's King and Wendy's. They're trying to steal them. Yeah, well, but I'm not saying that these are paid job offers. To me, this sounds like people trying to mooch off his, you know, 15 seconds. But one is an internship at a local radio station in Florida. And the other is he has been offered to do the color commentary.
For the home opener for the Fort Myers Miracle, which is their, like, Class A team in Florida. So, and I guess he immediately accepted the offer without discussing any form of compensation. He immediately agreed to do it. Wow. So, yeah, so he'll be doing the home opener there and then getting an internship at the local radio station. He does get very excited, you know, when anything happens right away. Do they say what the local radio station is? No, they don't list it here. The morning show will be using them. Oh, I'm sure. Please. So, okay. What's the story, Mike? President Obama paid a surprise visit to members of the White House Press Corps on Thursday evening when he walked through their working area, the West Wing. Did we talk about this? No, I haven't heard this. But he quickly became agitated when he was confronted with a question by one of the journalists. According to reports, when the, I guess the newspaper there, whatever, that this guy worked for was called the Politico.
When The Politico's Jonathan Martin asked the president about his nominee for Deputy Secretary of Defense, William Lynn, Obama refused to answer, saying he was not there to take questions. Quote, I came down here to visit. I didn't come down here. This is what happens. I can't end up visiting you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here, the president said. Pressed further by The Politico reporter about the Pentagon nominee, Obama turned more serious. putting his hand on the reporter's shoulder and staring him in the eye. All right, come on, he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. We will be having a press conference, at which time you can feel free to ask questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys. That's all I was trying to do. Politico.com reported. The situation came to a close. When a cameraman in the room interrupted declaring, I'd like to say it one more time, Mr. President. Kind of giving everybody the idea. We're talking to the president here. Let's not be jerks. Now, by the way, first of all, I think it was nice Obama was going to the press corps. And what's dude doing? Pressing him and blah, blah, blah. I'm reading it and thinking, you know, well, he's probably not going to do that again. He's got all these fresh new ideas. And he's like, I'm going to go say hi to the press corps. But it didn't go well. So he's probably never going to do it again.
But this is what I read that I thought was very interesting, that I cannot wait to write my brother about. Oh, I can't wait to write Mark. I can't wait to write Mark because Mark told me about. Oh, was he screaming from the rooftops about how get John McCain and his lobbyists and get out of this. Well, apparently the nominee in question, William Lynn, is a former lobbyist for defense contractor. Raytheon. Oh, really? A pick Obama made in contradiction to his much-heralded anti-lobbying rules. Yeah, I don't like that at all. Obama was willing to field lighter questions, though. Yes, he's discovered the gem in the White House residence. Talked about that. No, he hasn't played basketball yet on the outdoor White House court because it's been too cold. But I thought he wasn't down there to field questions. No, no, he wasn't. That's just friend talk. Some questions. Those aren't questions. Those are friendly chats. He was willing to answer some questions. Friendly chat with friends. The other day, he also answered about what he thought of Alex Rodriguez and the big scandal with Alex Rodriguez. This is unbelievable. I'll tell you what. Very much. Wow. Say that again. Man. 570-1053 is our phone number. Thank you.
If you want to send your loved one something fancy, go to MikeyShow.com. It's very fancy. It's a fancy boy. Top of the line. We have Rob wearing a little boutique outfit. It's real cute. He would call him the stupid Cupid. And if you go to MikeyShow.com, you can see him in a Cupid outfit. It's adorable. Not only that, but I'm relaying love messages. That's right. And the reason that we have them there is so that you can go there and send them to your friends. You can view any of these five video clips and send them to your loved ones. A little e-card. Yeah, you can do all five if you wanted to. Now, there's one that's a little inappropriate, I feel. Wait, what? Well, there's one where he, like, stores his bow and arrow. That was weird. Cuban doesn't have pockets. Okay, I just didn't care for that. So, you have to keep the bow and arrow somewhere. Do the best you can. You don't want to. I didn't get any approval. Couldn't you keep it, like, down your back? Okay, so where am I going to keep my poems? Up your sleeve. I didn't have sleeves.
In your hand? Exactly. Ecology accepted. Word. It was odd. Oh, man. Very. Let's see. They're the best. Jessica Simpson was on the early show yesterday. And they told the people. Don't ask her any questions about her weight. Oh, well, then why have her on? Well, because she has a new single out. Oh, sorry. It's called I Pray Out Loud. Oh, well, then. Skye, why would she be doing any kind of interviews right now? Seriously. I don't know. I say I wouldn't. Because of craft services? Okay. Who said that? Rob? Unbelievable. So they told her, don't ask any questions about the weight. Don't refer to the weight. Don't reference the weight. Don't do anything about the weight. And then they did this. And you look so beautiful as always. I'm always amazed. I always think I wear the highest heels. Oh, no. I think I take the cake. Can we please? You did. Meat beat. You look absolutely beautiful. Everything going okay for you? I know you've been through a lot lately. Yeah. What do you mean? Yeah. How so? What are you talking about? Everything. Those high heels holding up.
Showcase. I didn't say it. It's all about keeping the faith. That's why Pray Out Loud is my single. Oh, wow. There should have been like a pause and then like, this is comfortable. That was so uncomfortable. Awkward. Let's see. Taxpayers are going to have to cover the octuplets, the octomom's hospital costs. Don't say that. Don't you say that. Hey, you guys, you don't have a problem doing that. We take care of people in this country, don't we? Stop it. You guys don't have a problem with that. Listen, we, as a society, take care of our own. Right, Sky? Yep. That's right. Fine. She is here in California, Rob. To answer your question, what state is she in? Yes, she stayed in California. And so the octuplets, the eight babies, are expected to spend seven to 12 weeks in the hospital. And the hospital has now requested reimbursement from Medi-Cal.
which is the state's Medicaid program. And so these are premature babies. They didn't specifically disclose the cost, but, you know, the Associated Press did a little math of their own. In 2006, they say the average cost for premature babies' hospital stay was about $160,000. And then the average cost for just one C-section birth was about $23,000. You times all that by eight, $1.3 million. Get out of here. Oh, my. Nadia also tackled recent criticism from her mother that she was, quote, incapable of taking care of her new family. We talk on the phone, and she adores her grandchildren. And regardless of the words she chose to use, she said, Nadia is not capable of taking care. What human in this planet is capable to take care of 14 independently without support? Okay. Great question, Nadia. Great question, Nadia. Yes. Great question, Nadia. Period. So, okay, what about, Nadia, what about 45? Yeah. What about 50? What person in this world is capable of caring for 50 children? 100. 2,000, Nadia. At what point in Nadia's mind will it be like, oh, yeah, it's too many? Yeah. I mean, 14 is acceptable and, like, you know, especially in 2009.
Because it's easy now. Yeah. Much easier than it was back in the 50s. From family, from friends, from church, no humanists. I'm not superhuman, nor do I claim to be. No, no, no, no. We don't think you are either. Right. That's why we're saying, you know. Dot, dot, dot. You know what I mean? Well, don't worry. She set up a website and is asking for donations. No, she is not. She said she only wanted swing sets. She did say that. I guess she lied. Her website has pictures of the babies and is taking donations by check or credit card. So it's your choice. It is your choice. Oh, that's sweet music to my ears right there. I need it. Okay, okay. You guys hear about the couple? A couple of satellites that collided in orbit. That's awesome. Yeah, it's awesome. Talk about it next. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. 1053. So, well done. Let's see. I said that when we came back, I was going to be telling you about a couple of satellites that crashed in outer space. Satellites. Stop it. That's a beautiful song. That was a Dave Matthews imitation right there, everybody. That is a beautiful song. It is. Great song. Care for the mockery. Gorgeous. Yeah. They trained a donkey to sing. That's right. Never been a whore. Really, really? Just kidding.
Now, was it around Hoth that this happened? Or are we talking Cloud City? That's a good question, Sky. Can you tell us where it happened? No, this actually happened in reality, Eddie. What system is that? In the reality system. I don't know where it is. That's the system that actually exists. Is that part of the Tatooine sons? Or dot, dot, dot. Okay. No, this actually happened about 500 miles above Serbia. Oh. Yeah. Everything happens there. I know. You're so lucky. You know what I mean? Yeah. Gosh, I wish I were Serbian. Every single thing that goes down happens above Serbia. So true. Yeah, so one was a U.S. satellite and the other was a Russian satellite. I wish I was Serbian. The Russian satellite was kind of like out of control, non-functioning, and so they think that's... Look out! Yeah, watch it out. Russian satellite. So they crashed. They did it on purpose. And caused this large debris field, but they say everything should burn up. And now you will not get the Lifetime Network. What? I'm so sorry. How is SoapNet? Is SoapNet cool? Okay, well, good. Thank goodness. OC, 1 o'clock, I'm there. You really watched that? SoapNet? Honestly, I was like... They play OC and Bev from back in the day. Bev. I'm sorry, now it's 1-0.
Oh, wow. Whatever. Like, you didn't know what I meant. You did. You knew exactly what I meant. Let's see. I have a fever. And the only prescription is cowbell. Nice one. What do they do, Ash? They go in there and dig around. What do they do? Your dad did it. Do they carve your nose back? I heard, seriously, I heard they cut your nose and they flap it back. Yep. That's what they do. No way. I heard they do. Who told you that? Michael Jackson. Really? Well, then it must be true. I don't know, like, the procedure. They go up through the nostrils. How do I not know this? Or maybe through your mouth or something like that. Gauze, baby, gauze. I just know that they corrected that, you know, that.
kink that was causing the breathing. Yeah, it's called an occipital nerve. Deviated septum. That's what I got. That's what I have. Me too. Yeah, I went and got x-rays, dude. I got three fractures there. Yeah, right. Show off. 570-1053 is our number. Cheap to do it. She's a correspondent and it's another San Diego story. Wow. Such a great show.
I love that show. CBS called us and was like, hey, do you guys want to talk about this one? And we're like, yeah. P1 Devil Doc's on the line. What's up, Devil Doc? Hey, how's it going? So you were asking about the sinus surgery. Yes. What happens is they make an incision under the lip and they peel your whole face back to expose your sinus cavities. I heard that they remove your head. Right. I heard they just use long tweezers and they go up there and they pull out this red ball and you can watch it. Yeah, go out of your mouth. I like it. That's weird. Then it hits the funny bone and you're like, ah. They go in through the ear. I thought you were making an operation joke. P1 Sanjaya is on the line. Hall of, no, no. Yes, Hall of Famer, P1 Sanjaya. He has a fever. I have a fever. I have a fever. Good morning, Sanjay. There it is. Hi, Sanjay. Hey, what's up, brother? What's going on? Hey, dude. I can't wait to watch them. I can't wait. I haven't seen them all. Oh, they're so good. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, brother. Appreciate it. P1. Oh, my gosh. Mikey Show. P1 Paparazzi. What's up? Paparazzi. Oh, Eddie just took off his headphones. It's okay, Eddie. It's all right. It's going to be fine. It's been a couple days. We're cool. Paparazzi. What are you doing? Hey, I wanted to ask if you guys got to see the last episode of Fringe. Yes. Fringe. That was great. I think Ross and Marian finally got married. Marian, by the way. Yes, Eddie and I watched it. Dude, how awesome was it at the very end looking at the typewriter and noticing the why was exactly the same as that book? It was pretty cool. It was pretty shocking. The people who watch Fringe know what he's talking about. Skye, this show better have big ratings or even I'm going to be mad at paparazzi. It's okay. They're average ratings? They're okay. They're not bad. It's in the middle. Leave him alone. I thought it was trippy cool. I thought it was trippy cool. No, you don't. It's all right. The Y is a little higher than that.
But you're a professional. He's just a picture guy. He's just having fun, man. It's the J.J. Abrams show. You are. You're telling me paparazzi is a J.J. Abrams show. That was a good one. All right, paparazzi. Well, we appreciate it, brother. All right. Thank you, dude. He's dejected. Now he's upset. I like what you have to say, paparazzi. Who wants Scooby? Yo, yo, yo. What's up, Scooby? Yeah, watch French. It's pretty good. Anyway, I can't believe you guys went the whole show without talking about American Idol. Yeah, was it delish last night? I wanted to throw something at my TV. Yeah, I don't like what they do with those people at American Idol. I think you're a bunch of jerks. So like their thing, you know, was, you know, when they put people through. to the, you know, where they actually start singing in the competition, how they have them go into that room, and the judges are there, and they sit in that chair, and then they mess with them, which I think is so jacked. Yeah, like they haven't been through enough. Yeah, like Simon, oh, the news isn't good. Yeah. It's great. Yeah, and they think that their life, you know, just got all. Well, their thing, they had a new twist in that, and they would bring in two people at once and say, sing off, go.
Are you serious? And it's like they would pit friends against each other. Oh, they're awful. And it's like, so your dream is here, but your friend's not going through. It's so ugly, you know? They're doing anything for ratings now. Yeah, and then this one girl. Oh, my God. Well, I'm not talking about that idiot that they put through, which is terrible. You know that girl we were talking about the other day? That drama queen? Yeah. She's in the top 36 or whatever it is. Unreal. Which is so stupid. It's just because she's a train wreck, right? I'm begging America not to vote for her. She'll be the first one out. Guaranteed. Wow. But they put this other girl through and they were like, yeah, we don't like the way you look and the other girl is way prettier than you, but you have a better voice so you're going through. And she's like, should I be happy? You just called me ugly. Yeah. Okay, thanks. That's brutal. I guess a local girl made it to the top 36. Ariana, she's from Westview High School. Yeah. 17 years old. Really young kid. Thanks, girl. We'll see how she does. Come on with it. There you go. Ladies and gentlemen, holding to speak to us right now is P1 Whoopi. Oh, Whoopi. Hi, Whoopi. Good morning. Good morning, Whoop. Good morning. What's going on? Michael. Oh, no, aren't you?
I got you back on this guy. Michael, there is nothing wrong with our president shaking things up in his own house by walking downstairs and saying, hey, here I am. Let me just get to know you. So we're going to be together for four years, press corps. Let me just come in and just relax. It doesn't mean he has to have cue cards, Mr. Boston Rock. It doesn't mean he's got to have a prepared speech. He's going down there and he's going to meet the people that he's going to be spending four years. They're going to be covering him for four years. Sure you can have my number, baby. No. Listen, Whoopi. I said, I don't have a problem with that. He learned his lesson. He's not going to do it that anymore. He got his butt kicked as soon as he went down there. They asked him a tough question. They wanted to know. That's not a tough question. It wasn't a tough question. His refusal to answer that question had nothing to do with him. He didn't have his prepared answers. He didn't even know who the person was. Whoopi, the reason that he had a hard time answering the question is because he has appointed a well-known lobbyist, the very thing that he was campaigning against John McCain to not do. Oh, what's up, Whoopi? What's up, Whoopi? What's up, Whoopi? He campaigned against lobbying because if you look at the history of what a lobbyist does and the kickbacks that lobbyists get for special interest groups,
is completely different than putting a nominated lobbyist. Semantics. Semantics. He was against John McCain appointing lobbyists. He just appointed a lobbyist. By your own damn front. I'm not going to take questions. I just want to talk to you. Unless you ask me about the basketball court, which he answered that question. That's friend stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's friendly. That's not hard questions. Like, why did you hire a lobbyist? I want to know why my friend lied to me and appointed a lobbyist. Thank you. You guys are the worst. You're haters. Thank you for calling. I love you, Wooden. You are haters. You're haters today. Thank you. Appreciate that. You're sweet. We appreciate it. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented miss is up next. She got a little lost and found today, so if you haven't heard it in a long time, call her up and say, hey, I haven't heard it in a long time. Will you play it? That's what the lost and found is for, yo. See you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. Mikey Show's out.
