The Mikey Show aired with immediate audio chaos as hosts struggled to hear themselves through headphones, prompting Flounder's intervention. Rob then floated a handwritten letter to Clear Channel president Mark Mays requesting a new KIOZ studio, sparking debate about ratings and ad revenue. Mikey covered Michael Jackson Thriller 25th anniversary headlines, Obama/McCain primary sweep, Roger Clemens testimony, and revealed M-Tube contest finalists including Gangsta Pandas. Later, Lisa Daly promoted her relationship book 'Stop Getting Dumped,' Boston Rob debuted an Obama-themed song to 'I Like Big Butts,' and the show dealt with a measles exposure warning, a go-kart challenge between Eddie and Rob, and a Secret Crush call where Jenny and Josh confessed mutual feelings.

What about you? You can tell me how it might. Mics are different because they change processing, but it's all right. Don't worry. It'll be good. It's going to sound different, but it'll be fine. Sounds good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can't hear at all? I don't have a... Yeah, I don't either. Unless I lost hearing in my left ear. That could have happened. No, I don't have it either. Oh, maybe you lost hearing too. Today's the worst. Mine is... Mine's normal. So we got to figure out... Anything over there screwy? What about down there? I'm looking at. I can't even hear myself. You can't hear anything? I can't hear myself at all. Not even in right channel? Can you hear me? Yeah. I can't even hear myself. So your headphones are like not working at all. They're not on? Or what? No, they're... Like I'm hearing you but not through my headphones. I'm hearing you like talk. So are your headphones, your guys' headphones are like not working at all? I'm hearing you through my headphones in my right channel. I can't even hear myself.
Yeah, I can't hear Eddie in my headphones. Like, turn Eddie's mic off right now and have him talk, and you'll hear him the same. Not me. I can hear you guys perfectly. I can. I can hear everything's going on perfectly. Through your headphones. Yes. It's just like normal. Oh. So, Ashley. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What the hizzy? This has got to be... I'm being serious. Like, this has got to be kind of fun for the listeners at this point. Yeah. I mean, at this point, yeah, because at this point they must be like, I wonder what will happen next. You know? So, anyway, Rob, Ashley will take care of it. Let's finish up our pre-show meeting and then we'll get the show started. I thought it would be interesting to do it on the air. Before we do the show, I go around and I ask everybody what's going on. In fact, that might be a fun exercise to do on the air. I'll have to ask science. So, Rob, anything interesting happen with you yesterday? No. Got to hang out with Ashley's dad. Then after that, actually, my brother joined the gym with me yesterday. Which brother? Gabe. Good. He used to come to the gym with me and just working all the time. Not good because he's out of shape. Good because it's good for you guys to bond. It's good for you guys to bond, though. Yeah, yeah. It's really good. What, Sky? What were you laughing at? Rob dealing with his headphone cord.
You know what I actually thought about this morning? I'm being totally and completely serious. Like, I know when I say this, you're going to go, oh, you're making a joke. I'm being honest. Yeah. I've been considering writing a letter, a handwritten letter, or maybe a typed letter. I wanted to talk to my wife about it to see which would make more sense and see more. Make more of an impact. Make more of an impact and what would be more reasonable. Yeah. And I want to do this letter. in the mail as opposed to writing an email because I think it would be more effective. But I want to write to the president and CEO of Clear Channel, Mark Mays. I think that's the president and CEO. I'm not sure if it's him or John Hogan. There's a couple of guys that are so high up there that you don't know what their titles really are. But I want to write them and I want to say, listen, I know that it never hurts to ask. And so, you know, what harm can come from asking? I'd like to ask if you guys would build us a brand new studio at KIOZ in San Diego. And then I would go through and I would describe what, you know, what things have been like. And, you know, say that it certainly doesn't get into the way of the radio show's performance necessarily because despite the...
Interferences, you know, the show is still popular and does well. However, I think that if, you know, some of these issues were resolved, think how much better it could be. I like you and I like your ideas. And I don't mean to be Debbie Downer. It's all right. I need this. But what percentage of chance do you think that his eyes will actually ever see an email or a letter? Here's my answer. What percentage of chance of him seeing an email or letter do I have if I don't send anything? Good point. So maybe I have 1% chance. Okay, that's true. So it's better than doing nothing. All it is is it's about 45 minutes of my time this weekend putting this thing together. You're right. Never hurts to try. And really, what do I think my chances are? I actually think my chances are pretty high. Really? I actually think that if you write a letter like that, certainly someone opens it up and reads it. His assistant? Yes. And I do believe that a letter complaining or a letter saying great job, a letter saying great job is probably going to make it to him, no matter what. A letter saying great job from someone is going to probably make it to him.
but what probably won't is hate mail. Right, right. And what probably won't is somebody complain, and maybe not hate mail, but somebody complaining about something that happened on this radio station from a listener or something like that. My letter is not, it is first and foremost not a letter of complaint. It is first and foremost a letter of, can you do something for us? I would like to ask if you could do something for us. That would be first and foremost. And so I think that a secretary, assistant, whatever, reading that would go, this is kind of different and interesting. This is from a morning show host for one of our properties in San Diego. I think he should at least see it. I got a text message on my phone. There's been so much technical stuff going on this morning. That could have been anything to me. So anyway, I think it's worth a shot. Yeah, give it a try.
Flounder. Hey, man. Good morning, Flounder. Good morning. It's Flounder. Look at you. Flounder's good. He is. He's going to take a look and see if he can figure it out. Everything's messed up this morning, Flounder. You sound good, though. I know. I like it. Did you hear what they were saying as the problem? Yeah, I heard, yeah. She's like, you can't hear anything, right? And your headphones say, what? Eddie. I can't hear myself or anything. I can't hear Mike. Which is weird. Yeah. But I can't hear myself. Now I'm starting to kind of hear myself. Yeah, I turned your mic way up. You can't hear Skye? Hello, hello, hello. I can kind of hear Skye. Give me a test, Skye. Testing one, two, testing. I can hear Skye on the moon. Hey, Skye, Skye, read me one of the headlines. Obama and McCain swept the Potomac primary yesterday. Okay. Eddie, give me a sports headline. It's a big day in the court. room because Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee are answering questions on Capitol Hill today. Does that sound any better to either one of you guys? I can now hear myself, but I still don't have a great, I don't have a left channel for some reason. I'll get Ron. He's coming. Thanks, Flounder. Run for the rescue. I should make him a cape. I left off with Rob. Zeth, anything interesting happen with you yesterday?
Not yesterday, but today I saw a guy standing on the freeway, nowhere near a car, wearing like a full-blown suit and tie. It was the weirdest thing I've seen in a while. He was just standing on the side of the road? Yeah, like there wasn't a car within like five miles of him either way. Was he walking or standing? He was just standing there. Weird. That is interesting. I could write a spooky story about that. Yeah, seriously. 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us right now. The beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. It's basically whatever you want to talk about. It's up to you. It's an open forum. We try not to tell you what the topic is. You can call and talk about TV last night. You can ask us a question. You can comment on something going on. It's anything. Anything and everything. Give us a call right now. Let me introduce everybody while you're calling.
5701053 is the number. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37 years old. And Eddie is our producer and sports guy. He is 34. And yesterday, while he was getting his hair cut, saw a guy fall asleep. Yeah, in the chair. In the chair. In the chair while he was getting hair cut. It was bizarre. I've never seen that before. He must have been very comfortable. I don't know what it was, man. But, I mean, I sat there and I watched. And, I mean, I saw him close his eyes. I saw him fall asleep, full on fall asleep. And then I saw him kind of groggily open his eyes as she was finishing up. Now, did the guy that was doing, was it a guy or a girl? It was a woman. And was her deal like she didn't seem to care? It was like, hey, whatever. I don't think she noticed. Really? Yeah. Because, I mean, she was doing her thing. You know, she was cutting it up. Right. I mean, I was looking at the guy's face. So I was sitting there watching him going. oh, that guy's asleep. Could you never do that in a million years? No way, dude, because number one, I'm concerned when I get haircuts that they are going to do something to screw it up. So I pay close attention. I don't like to talk to any, you know, I don't like the chit chat because I don't want to distract them. And so I'm like more alert than anybody, you know, when I'm getting a haircut. I don't have hair anymore. Yeah, because I shave my head. But when I did that,
did have hair i was the same way i didn't i and it was the same reason i didn't want to distract yeah and i thought no just but i also you know if if there's if i'm being completely honest i also i just didn't uh care to talk i just didn't want to yeah it's it's idle chit chat that i just you don't care you know where i live and all that stuff you're doing it to be nice which is cool and i don't need it i don't need it i'm fine it's not necessary Sky, your hair has been looking nice. What's the deal? What's going on? Is there anything different? Has it gotten long and you haven't cut it? Or have you just cut it? What's going on? Anything different? No, I got it cut maybe a month ago. Are you using something new? Anything changed? No. Okay. But thank you. That's always nice to hear. Sky's 30. What up? And she is our news girl. Sean is our sound effects guy. Yeah. And he is 37 years old as well. And lives in the Bay Area. And since he's not in the studio with us, we look at him on a camera. That's crazy. It really, really is. Ashley is wearing green today. Green top. That's right. She's 24. And she has just gotten her hair redone. So no roots. It's all blonde.
She is. She's blonde. Yes. Get ready for summer. That's right. Yeah. I blonde it up. What's your astrological sign? Cancer. There you go. That's what my dad is. Let's see. Boston Rob, he is our phone screener. Occasionally we'll do stunts for the show. And an all-around good guy. And Zeth is 22 years old and he makes the seventh person on the show. He rounds out the show seven. He's a nice guy, too. He's always getting pulled over, harassed, breaking down. Oh, good grief. Somebody's trying to sell him drugs. Like strangers. He always seems to run into mischief. And he comes home crying to his mom? He doesn't respond to it. He doesn't say, sure, I'll take your drugs. He doesn't buy them.
In fact, I think if you were being really honest, it kind of scares him, you know, like that they're selling him drugs. It's probably kind of a little scary, like, oh, no, no, thank you. Anyway, that's Seth. He's 22, and he certainly looks the part. You'd understand it a lot more if you saw him. He's real tall with a shaved head, and he's got tattoos. But inside, he's just a real sweet kid. He's a teddy bear. He's respectful to the media. He is. He's respectful to the public. Thank you. And he's a good kid. P1 Josh. Yeah, I'm here. Hi. I got a legitimate question for Sean about his Michael Jackson gear he owned back in the day. Yeah, we were talking on the air yesterday just as we were about to sign off about how yesterday in the new releases, Michael Jackson came out with a 20-year anniversary. 25th. 25. Yeah. A 25th anniversary edition of the album Thriller. And so we were talking about Michael Jackson. It turned out that Sean, who's a big fan of 80s music, owned it all. Not just the red leather jacket with the zippers on it. Zipper jacket, Mike. Zipper jacket. Not the thriller jacket, the black and white one. I had the original Billie Jean one. Oh, you had the black and white one. You didn't have the red one. No, the...
The one that I'm talking about was the one that he wore in the, I think it was in the Beat It video, where it's red and it has all the zippers. There's one that he wore on the Thriller video, which was red and had black trim. The red with black trim, I don't have that one. Which one? So you had the Beat It one. The all red. Glitter socks. He did. He said he had the sequin glove. He can pull it off, man. I didn't say I had the sequin glove. You did, too. I did. Eddie said that. Okay. I mean, I had it, but I didn't say I had it. You see? Nice. Scam artist. I see. You just won, right? Okay. And the socks, what's the deal with the socks, Eddie? They're what? He said he had the glitter socks. Glitter socks. And from time to time, he would rock them. Where would you wear those? To a rumble. To a rumble. Oh.
Once to school, I got made fun of, so I didn't wear them to school. Why would they do that? That's not very nice of them. But I did wear them once to a dance. With what shoes? Loafers, black loafers. Same ones he wore to the Grammys that year. What is your legitimate question for Sean? Sean, be honest. Did you sport the Michael Jackson Jerry curl back in the day? How am I going to do that? I don't have black hair. I can't put relaxer in my hair. I mean, dude, if you went as far as to have all those things, you didn't get a wig? Oh, I didn't get a wig. Or somehow figure it out. Figure it out, bro. I wasn't trying to look like him. Oh, really? Oh, my goodness. You weren't trying to look like him. No, I wasn't trying to look like him. Respectfully, Sean, you had a red leather jacket with zippers. You had one sequined glove.
You had glitter socks. I never wore the glove, though. Not outside. Fair enough. Fair enough. But when I... Thank you. Maybe he was trying to look like Weird Al Yankovic. I just, I don't understand. I don't know. I don't understand. I wasn't trying to look like him. But I wasn't trying to look like him. Look, people make fashion statements all the time. Recording artists make fashion statements all the time. Right. You know, Madonna is one that, you know, that has made lots of fashion statements. And people follow suit. But it doesn't mean they want to look like her. You're trying to emulate his fashion style. To a certain extent. I'm trying to look like him, bro. I have a legitimate question. Ash, go ahead. Shani? Ashley. Shani? How did you, like, accessorize the jacket and the glitter socks? Did you wear your shants? Or were you going, like, full-blown? Did you get, like, some leather chaps? Like, what did you wear with to pull it all together, like, on your pants situation? Don't blame me, bro. That wasn't me. Hands, did you wear your shants or not?
She's not skilled, dude. What'd you wear? She's not skilled. Leather? That was blatant. I don't know. I can't control her. I'm only in charge of myself. I don't know. So when she went just full board like... I'm going to slap you in the face. I'm going to slap you in the face. If you're not wearing your shoes, you wear the loafers. Sean, I got a question for you. Go ahead, Rob. Really? Well, why don't you shut your mouth? What the? Yeah, Ashley. Sean, anyways, was it hot? Sean? I don't know what you mean. Was it hot to wear all that underneath a furry suit? Wow. Lisa was a little more skilled. You gotta give him that. I think it was a different time, Ron. Different times in his life. I can't keep up with him. That was years later. Which was another fashion statement. If you can't keep up with him, then shut up. P1 Casey. Hey, Mikey. I was just kind of thinking, man.
You should make a copy of that letter before you send it in the first time, and if you don't hear nothing in a couple of weeks, just send a copy in every single day until you hear something. Is this Shawshank Redemption? Exactly. It works, man. I might try that. I'd be obtuse. I will go for it. P1 Poway's on the line. Oh, wait a minute. No, he's not. P1AJ, what's up? Hey, Mikey. How's it going? Good. Hey, I was on M-Tube yesterday, and I watched the Hambo. Uh-huh. Yeah. I was so amazed how accurate they portrayed Skye, sending in Ramsey first for anything dangerous, beating him when he's out of line. It's good stuff. That's awesome. If you haven't seen it yet, we picked the top five for M-Tube. We picked the top five for M-Tube. It was not easy. There were a lot of good ones, man. The understatement of the year, man.
It was tough. It was not easy. It's not easy. It's not easy. It's not easy to go through those things and pick those things. It's not easy. It's not easy. But the M-Tube videos have been picked, and if you go to Mikeyshow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, you can view them. What would you do, Seth? Would you put in keyword watch and take it from there? We can set up a separate one for the finalists. Why don't we make it keyword finals? Keyword finals, and that'll be the top five videos. And I can tell you what they are off the top of my head. Now, as Sky said, this was so difficult. We're doing a contest where people had to promote the Mikey show in a video, three minutes or less, whatever way they wanted to. Get it up on YouTube and then send it to us. And we were in charge of picking the top five, and then you can vote.
You only get to vote once, though. We made it so you can only vote once because we don't want it to be where somebody just has their friend figure out some computer program to keep voting for them. That's not fair. Or have a guy just sit there all day and click, click, click, click, click. That's not fair. So we tried to set it up so that you can only vote once. And the winner is going to get a brand new HD camcorder. So one of the finalists was... Called Gangsta Pandas. Dude. So funny. Tears coming out of my eyes. Yeah. It was so funny. Holy cow, it's funny. And it was the work of P1 Danny. Now, I'm going to tell you right now, a couple of the names of these top five, you're going to go, oh, come on. I know these names. You say them all the time on the radio. They're Hall of Fame P1s. Yeah, they are. That's why. And they're real talented. That's why they are. They get it. They really, really do. I mean, these videos are so... And listen, when you go and you see them, you'll understand. You'll see why they're in the top five. That Gangsta Pandas could be a total viral video that is sent around and people watch it, which was the whole point of this contest. I would get that and open it and laugh my butt off. Even if you didn't get it. It's just funny. It's hysterical. Another finalist.
Video number two is The Mikey Show Real World, which is an extremely clever, very funny, and kind of difficultly choreographed piece of video where you're watching cutouts, Barbie dolls dressed as Mikey Show members, cutouts of... And I mean, it's just, it's amazing. And it's a three minute long introduction into everybody on the Mikey show. And they had to work at like individually cutting out pictures of us, putting them on, I don't know, popsicle sticks or something. And holding them up all while narrating with some pretty hysterical dialogue to go with it. It's almost so dumb, it's brilliant. Exactly. Yeah, it works for itself. You know what I mean? Video number three is, to me, video number three was stunning. First of all, as I first started watching it, I thought, this looks so extraordinarily real and like the original. I'm talking about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Ham. Oh, my God.
Now, I believe this was Space Boy, right? Yeah. Awesome. I'm telling you, it is so unbelievably done. He had to work at this, man. I'm talking costumes inside of a cave. It looks like the beginning scene of Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom. Actually, it's Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's a mock-up of Raiders of the Lost Ark where he goes in and he's got the big bag of sand. And he's got to make the trade-off between the bag of sand and the idol in the original movie while he's making the bag of sand trade-off for a honey-baked ham. Brilliant. And it is brilliant. The surprise ending was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. It's more chilling than Sixth Sense, that surprise ending. It is. It's a twist that will rock your world. That's right. You'll never be the same. What? I'm not. Your jaw will literally drop to the floor. That's right. The... fourth finalist was to catch a Mikey show listener and this guy that does Chris Hansen in this voiceover I was like we gotta get that guy in the show to do a Chris Hansen imitation laugh out loud because he's really got the inflection down yeah and especially when he's reading
screen names and doing that kind of thing. It's so funny. I like the way it's shot. It's like a hidden camera almost. The different angles. Very good. So, so funny. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true. And finally, the fifth finalist is called Hitler Loses the Mikey Show. And it is a movie about Hitler which I believe the movie's called Downfall and it's a movie about Hitler and it's all in German and Hitler is freaking out and getting upset and the subtitles are all stuff about the Mikey show and it made me laugh so hard. I've probably seen it half a dozen times and it made me laugh so hard. that I literally had tears streaming down my face. It made me laugh so hard. I haven't had a good laugh like that in a long time. And so if you want to see these, go to MikeyShow.com. Did you already set the keyword in there? Yeah. All right. So the keyword is finals. So just type in the keyword finals. It'll take you right to the page where you can view them. And after you view them,
You get to vote. Gangsta Pandas, Mikey Show Real World, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Ham, To Catch a Mikey Show Listener, or Hitler Loses the Mikey Show. The winner, the person with the most votes, is going to win a HD camcorder. Awesome. Sweet. And they are funny, man. 5701053. Call us right now. Let's do a little extended open phone session, and we'll take your phone calls when we come back on the show today. Well, first of all, I got to let people know it's a little bit different for us in here today because not only are we having the studio problems, but the printers in the entire building here at Clear Channel in San Diego are not working. Nothing will print. Nothing. So that's an issue in the entire building. It's catastrophic, if we're being honest. It is, because we print. Thank you, Ashley. Thank you. We print a lot of stuff here. It's important. Yeah. So what we're going to do is, yesterday at the end of the show, I don't know if you were listening, but yesterday at the end of the show, P1 T-Rex called and suggested a new challenge for Eddie and Boston Rob. We'll tell you what that challenge was. They accepted, both of them. Accepted the challenge. Gladly. Awesome. So we'll talk about that.
We're also going to be talking to this lady named Lisa Daly. And I'm real interested in talking to this lady. Who is she? She's written a book called Stop Getting Dumped. And I just want to figure her out. Right. Because I read about it and I was like, oh, really? Not a good tone. I don't know about this. Well, then let's basically what I want to say to Lisa is, hey, can you. Can you pop the hood for me real quick? I want to take a look under here and see what's going on. So we'll do that. We're going to do something called Lyrical Gangsta on the show. Are you the lyrical gangsta? Do you know lyrics real well to songs? Because if you do, this is going to be a great game for you. Boston Rob is dropping another single today. Holy moly. He's dropping another single today, and it's about Barack Obama. And it is to an extremely patriotic song. It is. It's to I like big butts and I cannot lie. Baby got back. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. We're doing another secret crush. Now, I'm going to tell you right now, we got a whole bunch of emails. There was a few emails of people that wanted to do the secret crush thing. I'm telling you right now, and I don't care who you are.
Get some Kleenex ready. I read it, and I was like, wow. Wow. So that's coming up. We're going to do something today called Sean TV, where Sean tells us about a television show that he likes. So we'll do all of this. Jerry Seinfeld in the stand-up spotlight. The Mikey Show stand-up spotlight. We have to fight these battles. We're all alone in the bathroom. Whatever goes wrong, you have to handle it. You ever go to a big party, go in the bathroom, flush the toilet, and the water starts coming up? This is the most frightening moment in the life of a human being. You'll do anything to stop this. You'll lose your mind and start talking to the toilet. No, please don't do this to me. No, come on. You know this is not my responsibility. I didn't make this happen. I'll get you the blue thing, the man in the boat. Just let me off the hook this one time.

The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Paris Hilton's 18-year-old brother, Baron, was arrested yesterday morning for DUI. Lloyd Lake refused to testify in the Reggie Bush lawsuit after he saw a security guard hired by Bush show up with a gun. Wow. Holy moly. I think it takes rocks to name your kid Baron. It's just me. Yeah. Our blogs are up. You can read our blogs if you want by going to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and you can read our thoughts. All you got to do is go into the keyword section. Just click on that keyword section. Type in the word keyword blogs, and you can read all about it. Don't forget, we have that Valentine line open for you, 858-715-1923. So if you want to say something nice,
To somebody that you love, send a little love message. You can do that by calling 858-715-1923. And if we pick your message, then we'll be playing them back tomorrow on the air. Love your mouth. So get in on it. I told you we'd extend the open phone segment. So we'll take a couple of calls and then let's get into some of the news going on. It's so... It's distracting that I don't have my normal pieces of paper in front of me. Right, yeah. Because we can't print. I have like 15 windows open on my computer right now. So when you come to me for a story, it may take me a second or two to get to the right place to get every single detail for you. Yeah, same here. We'll do our best. And now my computer screen is full of highlighter ink because I've just been highlighting for the last 20 minutes. No, you shouldn't. That's not a good idea. You shouldn't. Mm-mm-mm. I'll create that. Patent pending. Oh, no. P1 Naylor, are you there? Yeah, I'm here, Mikey. What's going on? I got a story for you about sending a letter to your boss. I'm a former federal intelligence agent, and we were over in Iraq, and they were telling us we couldn't carry weapons because of an administrative detail that hadn't been taken care of between the lawyers yet. You know, we kept waiting, and we'd carry anyway. We had to, but...
You know, we kept waiting and waiting for our country leads to take care of it, and finally I just got tired of it. I sent a letter, an email directly to the director of the intelligence agency, and he didn't know anything about it. He didn't know the situation we were in. You know, he wrote me back, and everybody kept telling me, oh, he doesn't read his own email. You know, he's got, you know, thousands of people working for him. He'll never even see it. He emailed me back the next morning. And said, you know, I'm going to take care of this. Nobody told me there was an issue between. It was between our lawyers and SOCOM's lawyers. And all it was is who's going to supply the ammunition. That's all it was. You know what? You just made up my mind for me. I'm sending it. I'm going to write a letter and I'm going to send it. Basically what I need to know is I need to know the most high up guy I can find. I don't know who that most high up guy is. But I'm going to figure out who the most high-up officer for Clear Channel Communications is, and I want to send it to him. And the worst that happens is he goes, no, I'm not going to do it. But I don't know. Record profits. Yeah, I heard about that. You never know. I did read that. Maybe the guy will have a little something in his heart, and he'll say, yeah, I'm going to redo their whole studio.
Exactly the way they want it. Beautiful. You know, you tell us what you want and we'll get it in there. Listen, I win. I was even thinking to myself the other day, because as you're listening to the show, you don't see what we see. In front of me, I have a control board with all these dials and levers and all this stuff. Pulleys. Pulleys. Yeah, there's like a hamster and a basket and he runs and that's how you hear my voice. Well, I've got all these controls in front of me, right? All these knobs. And I was looking at this board the other day, and I was thinking to myself, I bet this thing is old, old, old. And I thought, here we are in the age of iPods and all that stuff. I thought, I wonder what the most up-to-date latest technology does. And I bet it's amazing. I don't know. I mean, I actually... We have some here. You do, Sean? Yeah. What does the newest and coolest and latest stuff do? The latest thing, it's called a digital control board. Yeah. So what it is is all of the faders that you see in front of you, you can actually assign to be any way that you want. So you can put the microphones on one side and the CD players on the other or put stuff in the middle or you can assign it however you want. And then when you leave, you reset it so that it goes back to whatever it was before. And when you come in in the morning, you press one button and boom, all the things jump back to the way you want it. Wow. It's unbelievable.
That's what I want, man. That's all. That's all I'm saying. Just that. That's huge. I mean, well, that's not true. That's not all I want. Yeah. What I really want is I want to be able to ergonomically design how things are laid out. I'm second right in front of myself and stuff like that. P1 Andrea, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. I had a question for Sky. I went tanning yesterday and I got a really bad sunburn and I don't know what her doctor told her to do for hers. That's a good question. Somebody must have told you that she'd had a sunburn and you thought to come to her. That's a great question. Well, what do you mean by really bad? What are you feeling? What degree? I can't move. I was laying in bed about to cry. I wasn't going to go to school this morning because I cannot move. Well, I would start by taking some Motrin, an anti-inflammatory of some type. Do you have a mom? And then I would soak in a very cool bath. And then when you get out, put on the aloe vera. And then, you know, hopefully that'll help. That sounds practical. But if not, you know, there are other steps to take after that. But give that a try first. Is there a phone line you can call?
Well, I mean, if it gets really bad and if you're getting like shooting pain. How do you know if it's really bad? Well, if you're getting shooting pains, then I would call your doctor and he could maybe prescribe like a steroid cream or something. Uh-oh. She must have got disconnected. Wow. What about a paste? I've never used any sort of paste. What about the ortho tricycline paste where you just take a mortar and pestle and you just crush it up in there with the aloe vera? No, that's not real. Then you spread it out. Nope. P1 Decoys on the line. Hey, Mikey. I was wondering, did you or Eddie or any of you guys, whenever you were getting married, did any of you guys get cold feet, start to kind of freak out right before it happened? I'll answer first. I didn't get cold feet, but I did get nervous. And what I was nervous about when it was the actual act of asking Rebecca to marry me, it was in Lake Tahoe, and we had driven to the middle. of the lake on this long winding road and a guy, a friend of mine told me that there would be a spot that would be very obvious to me. When I got there, it would be very obvious to me and it was not becoming obvious. And I was at least 20 minutes past the amount of time that he said it'd be real obvious. And so...
I basically picked a spot that I thought looked good to me. And there we went, walking over jagged rocks to get to a place where I could get down on one very unbalanced knee. Very. And propose to her. And I sounded like Luca Brazzi when he first met the Godfather. May your daughter's first daughter be a masculine child. Well said. Just ridiculous. What about you, Eddie? No cold feet. And the only time I got nervous on my wedding day was I had to go in like the back before everything kind of started. They made me go into like the back of the church and I was by myself. Oh, no. And so I'm standing there by myself. Oh, gosh. And that's when like the flood of emotion and thoughts and all those things came into my head. Right. And then I started to freak. Yeah. And I calmed myself down.
And once I walked out and I could see everybody that I knew, I was okay. Sean, your experience was very different, wasn't it? No, I would say I had a very average experience. I didn't get any cold feet or anything. I had total confidence in the minister that we had. It was really great. What about when you asked her to marry you? What was that experience? Where were you? When I asked her to marry me. I thought that that was like, well, you guys just went, oh, should we do it? Yeah, okay, cool. Was it like that or was it not like that? Yeah, it was pretty much like that. So there was no, like, real proposal, blah, blah, blah? No. Sky? I actually had cold feet a couple days before my wedding because I was young, you know, when I got married. I was 22 years old. And a couple days before the wedding when all the family started to come into town, I really kind of started getting into my head going, I know I love this man, but man, I'm young. Like, could I potentially regret this in a couple years? And I kind of started tripping myself out. But then I just kept saying, no, I love this man. He's the best man I've ever been with. You know, he's an angel.
But, man, you're young. What if you change? Why does Rob have a big, giant grin on his face? I wonder what that grin means. Well, Mike, once I realized he was trainable, I had no words. Wow. I'm sorry. Wow. Sky, I wouldn't have said that. Wow. Oh, man. I couldn't hold that back. I just couldn't. Takes brass balls. I'm sorry. Unbelievable. I'm working on this. So, yes, I did have cold feet. You know, when you truly love somebody. I am a jerk. Ash, are you nervous about your upcoming wedding? Yeah, how do you feel? Are you getting nervous yet? I'm not getting married. Do you have any kind of butterflies yet? Or is it so far off? I don't even have a boyfriend. Have you picked a date yet? Wait a second. You're a lover. I thought she had a significant other. I do have a significant other. Gotcha. Weird. P1 paparazzi is on the line. That was, I got, dude, no, you can't give me the break sign. You can't give me the break sign, Eddie. You can't do that now. All I got was pop, I got pop, pop, and it was. Maybe popcorn's on the line. It could have been popcorn, chimp. Okay, Eddie. Paparazzi is one of our Hall of Fame P1. It doesn't matter how many times you do that motion, Eddie. He's not going to. He is, his name is Brad, and we call him paparazzi because he likes to take pictures. But Eddie.
Doesn't care for him. And he's now pointing at his watch with his index finger. Time, Mike. Stay on time. Now, it's okay. Paparazzi, what is going on? I'm curious. If you write the president of Clear Channel and say you pitch to him that if you get a new studio, it could potentially win you another 20,000 listeners. Are they going to look at it as, wow, that's 20,000 more listeners? Or are they going to look at it as, oh, well, you guys are already the number one show, so who cares whether you beat the number two show by? A hair or a mile. Well, I addressed that. I already addressed that. I wasn't going to put, you know, how many listeners we had. I was going to say, you know, the show is very popular and we're very blessed and we're doing very well. But just think how much more popular it could be. If you're already the number one show, then are they going to really care how much more popular it is as long as they can advertise it to all their potential advertisers?
Hey, you're going to be advertised on the number one show. Well, he brings up a good point. Maybe what I could say, maybe I can cut that argument off before we ever get there. We'll say, okay, so McDonald's is the number one fast food joint, but does that mean that you don't want to improve the product? Does that mean that you categorically say no to improving Coca-Cola? Did Michael Jordan ever say, I'm done getting good? Well, and the amount that you can charge in terms of commercials is much greater. If your ratings are greater. Yeah, I mean, just being number one is one thing. Yeah. But if you're number one by a long shot, you can charge even more. It means that statistically you could show that you've got more listeners than less listeners. That's right. Which means record profits. That's right. Heard that. Thank you, paparazzi. All right. That was P1 paparazzi. True. There he is. What happened if you went on Big Brother? Don't even. Oh!
Don't even say it. You guys hear what Obama and McCain did last night? Not shots together. It's not that. They didn't do shots together. Jello shots. No. Body shots. Pretty crazy with what's going on with Obama and McCain. So I definitely want to fill you in on that. But coming up on the show... Hang on, let me find the window that says what we have coming up on the show. Coming up is Lisa Daly. She wrote a book called Stop Getting Dumped. And I want to talk to her. I just want to see what's up. Maybe this could help out with that situation. Maybe. See, the thing... Let me tell you why I say it like this. Because there's something about it that makes me think that the book is going to be a lot of...

Cricket is great for a variety of reasons, but I think the biggest, we said this yesterday, the biggest reason is that think of every dysfunctional relationship that you've been in, and it will remind you so much of the relationship that you're in currently with your wireless provider. It really will. The relationship that you're in right now with your wireless provider is one where the way that they keep you is that they lock you in. Oh, yeah.

And you can vote. You can watch those five and vote for them. Winner gets a brand new HD camcorder. My next guest has written a book. Her name is Lisa Daly. She's written a book and the book is called Stop Getting Dumped. All you need to know to make men fall madly in love with you and marry the one in three years or less. So I am very, very interested. Lisa Daly. Hey. How are you? I am fabulous. I can tell from the tone of your voice you're ready to go. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. Well, here's the deal. As I'm reading through the notes, it says, this is what I will learn.
From your book, which, by the way, is available at BarnesandNoble.com. Can you get it at Amazon? You can get it anywhere. It's available at any bookstore, Amazon.com, you name it. Okay, because I want to be fair to you in that we're having you on the air. I want to let people know where the book is available. But I am. I'm suspicious. I'm suspicious. And the reason why is that when I look at, this is what I will learn. How you may be sabotaging your current relationship right now. Now, there's no doubt in my mind that that could probably be true. Tons of men and women could be doing this. Right, absolutely true. The next thing, the secret to getting a man to call you. This one I'm suspicious of. And the reason that I'm suspicious of, let me read them all and then we'll go through them, okay? All right. How to make a man think about you all the time. The real reasons men fall in love and propose and how to make them work for you. And finally, how to be a woman men just can't live without. Now, let's talk. Because the one that I'm a little suspicious of right away is the secret to getting a man to call you. And the reason I say that is it seems like you're going to teach them what to do.
So that he'll call you as opposed to them being themselves, which maybe they're not the kind of girl that he wants to call. And they may follow your rules. And then they're going to find out later, oh, she's nuts. Well, what's the rules? What's the rules? Here's the thing. A guy is going to sort of, and women too, we sort of weed out those people who are nuts. It doesn't matter what any book that you follow their rules. The nuts are still going to sort of float to the top. There's nothing that I can tell any woman or any man if they are insane, you know, to sort of pull one over on a normal guy. I'm sorry. It's just going to come out. The rule, the way to make a man call you on a regular basis is to not call him all the time. And women do this. We call a guy 57 times a day. We call him while he's at work. We call him when he's at home. He's trying to watch the football game. And men's brains don't work the same way that women's do. I think you just proved my point. Yeah, exactly. Women are multitaskers. No, it's not a good thing that you proved my point. It's a bad thing. It's a very bad thing. Let's talk. Let's discuss. I'm with you, Lisa. I am. Let's discuss. I fully support you, Lisa. Me too. Here is my question. Okay. Let's say you got a gal who is the type of gal that would call a guy at work and call him like a ton of times, right?
Right. And she gets Lisa Daly's book and it says, stop doing that. OK, you're changing the symptom. You're not changing the problem. She's kooky. That's why she's calling him. No, that doesn't mean she's kooky. Wait a minute. You're telling me that the type of chick that would pick up the phone and call Eddie all day, let's say Eddie's single, she's calling Eddie 50 billion times a day, okay? Okay, she didn't say 50 billion. We're talking about let the dude call you. Don't chase him. Let him chase you. That doesn't make you crazy. Let me quote Lisa Daly. This is the exact advice that you gave them, so come on. Lisa Daly said if somebody is calling, if it's a girl that calls, 57 times a day. Let's say that's an exaggeration, though. Obviously. Let's say she calls a lot. She's that girl. She's that girl. Okay, Lisa says don't do that anymore. That doesn't make her not that girl anymore. It just means that she's not calling a billion times. Right. Well, you know, it's really interesting. Sometimes it does make her not that girl. It does. Absolutely. A lot of times we get so sort of sucked into this desperation mode. We're calling the guys, and the more you call them, and the more you chase after them, the more he rejects you.
And the more desperate you feel, it's like this vicious cycle of freakiness. And if you just step back from that, stop calling the guy 87 times a day. Stop chasing after guys who are not really interested in you. Get your own life. Do your own thing instead of waiting for some guy to make you a person. If you do that, then you end up changing the way you feel about yourself. And then you don't have to change that. And, of course, there are always going to be those women and those men. who are out back in the shed making a little soap voodoo doll out of you, calling you 57 times a day. And if they're really insane, they may be able to control themselves from calling, but it's going to come out in some other way. And you know, listen, just like you're exaggerating when you say 57 times a day, I'm exaggerating when I say crazy. I don't mean mentally insane. I just mean... You know what I mean. Exactly. We're talking to Lisa Daly. She's the author of Stop Getting Dumped. All you need to know to make men fall madly in love with you and marry the one in three years or less. Okay, so the next one is how to make a man think about you all the time. I'd love to know this. Let's hear. Well, it's the same basic principle. A lot of times...
women are calling or sort of inserting themselves into the guy's life and they're wanting the result of this is if i'm around him all the time he's going to think about me more and the truth is you need to give the guy a little time to miss you you need to give him time with his friends you need to be away from him sometimes in order for him to think about you if you're there on his lap every second of the day or you know in his blackberry He doesn't have one chance to miss you. If you had your own thing going on, then he does. Okay. That sounds great. In fact, you remind me of Barack Obama. I'm hearing a lot of things that sound very hopeful and very wonderful. And everyone hearing it would be like, oh, that sounds great. Except that the kind of girl. who is that needy of a guy that she's doing those things, there's other issues other than just stopping that behavior. There's a reason she's like that. That's what she's got to fix. That's the truth. That is the truth. And a lot of things that I talk about in the book is finding your own thing that you're interested in. A lot of times people just feel bad about themselves and they need to do things so that they can feel good about who they are.
And that they don't need another person to make them feel good. How about this one, Lisa? How does a woman become a woman that men just can't live without? It's the same exact theory. You just have to be this amazing, fantastic person who has their own thing going on. Skye, just be an amazing, fantastic person. I totally get what she's saying. If you're that... needy, needy chick who calls a dude like 20 times a day, showing up at his place, whatever. If you read Lisa's book, that's not really going to change you. Maybe she can hold back for a day, but it's going to come out on the second day. But lots of chicks don't know that that's kind of not the way to go about it. So if you're a normal chick like me and Ashley, and you read this book, you kind of go... Normal chick like you are, Ashley. You kind of go, oh, hey, maybe I should hang back for a second. And I think that's who she's targeting. So basically the book is telling you be normal. No, see, I don't think that. And then the last one, and I want to say it again, the name of the book is Stop Getting Dumped.
All you need to know to make men fall madly in love with you and marry the one in three years or less. Lisa Daly, get the book at Amazon or BarnesandNoble.com. And there may be men and women listening right now that you do think that this is interesting. But the real reasons men fall in love and propose and how to make them work for you. Give me a little bit on that, Lisa. Well, what's really interesting is that there have been a number of studies that have shown that every action that men do is for sex. Everything that they do, the whole reason to go into politics or become a DJ or do anything is to have more access to more attractive women. Which is really interesting, but true. It's funny because as you say it, you're saying it almost like you can't say it with a straight face. You're almost laughing as you say it. Like, oh boy, he's really going to know I sound ridiculous.
No, evolutionary biologists have proven it to be true. There's a whole procreation thing. So how do you get us to fall in love and propose? You guys fall in love and propose when everything that you want is not handed to you on a plate. I agree with that. I do agree with that. I think that that's absolutely 100% right. So are you saying, in saying that, are you saying, hey ladies, don't put out. I'm not saying don't put out. I'm just saying don't put out on the first date. Okay. I'm saying that you don't put out on the first date. That's all great advice. I'm saying don't put out. A lot of times women end up in these really imbalanced relationships. And men do too, but women do it more often. Women end up in these really imbalanced relationships. And they're cleaning the guy's house. And they're doing his laundry. And they're giving it up four times a day or doing whatever. And the guy's not even really emotionally invested. So just make sure that you're sort of... I'm writing a book. Where is that? I'm writing a book. I've never met that girl. That used to be me. Where is that girl? That totally used to be me. Well, listen, Ashley, maybe you would be interested in Lisa Daly's book, Stop Getting Dumped, All You Need to Know to Make a Man Fall Madly in Love with You and Marry the One in Three Years or Less, available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, wherever you buy books. And hey, Lisa, I appreciate you taking the time to come on with us and mix it up with me a little bit.
Anytime. You guys are fun. Thanks, Lisa. Thanks. We'll see you. Come on. I mean, to me, that's to me. Yeah. I mean, honestly, I feel strongly about it. And the reason that I the reason I'm so passionate about it is I want to say to all the ladies listening, I want to go, ladies, ladies. It's not about the sneeze. It's about the cold you have. Don't try to take stuff to deal with the symptoms. Deal with the cold that you have. But don't you think she's saying the cold is that you need to work on being a stronger individual, more secure, more independent? I heard her say that to me because I'm pushing her on it. Well, I'm sure it's in the book. Okay. You're sure it's in the book, and I'm unsure it's in the book.
that's the difference go ahead ash i kind of feel like it's like that book he's just not that into you very simple concept you know and it's not necessarily digging into like well why is he really not into me but it's simple tactics that you can apply to your life in relationships and dating that will help you to maybe understand like your game a little bit better have a little more game with you and then and it's a book telling you women to be normal well it's It's just like that book is not that into you. Awesome. That's it. I agree. Simple concept. We need to hear it sometimes. What I got from it was that it is a book, exactly what I said. It's a book going, hey, ladies, when you walk around your daily life every day, you are showing the symptoms of a cold. And guys don't like it. They don't want to kiss you because you got a cold. So I'm going to tell you how to cure those symptoms. Don't call them so much. See, that's a sneeze. Don't give him everything he wants. That's itchy, watery eyes. So I'm going to tell you how to cover those symptoms up. What I'm not going to tell you is how to heal the cold. See, because if you don't have the cold, you don't show those symptoms to begin with. And some women don't show those symptoms. It's masking the symptoms. It is masking the symptoms. Well, agree to disagree. All right. We're both right. All right, let's do this. Let's get our printer fixed.
Oh, my wish. Wouldn't that be great? We are going to take a quick time out, and when we come back, let's do something called Lyrical Gangsta. And if you want to comment on this, call us at 570-1053. Heading south into 15, you've got some traffic to deal with out of Escondido. Up to 78 to down towards Velocita. Another minor delay to Carmel Mountain Ranch. Not too bad quite yet this morning. Westbound 52 is starting to slow down out of Santee coming up the hill here. As you work your way into Kearney Mesa, watch out for a stalled car here in the right-hand lanes here just past Convoy Street. So stay to the left around that guy. The westbound 8 has been beautiful this morning. That's not too bad at all here. You will find a brief delay developing around Lake Murray. But from there, you've got a nice clean shot into Mission Valley. West 94 on that King Freeway route. You've got some heavy traffic now developing from Federal Boulevard to the 805. And then it's off and on from Home Avenue in the downtown. Things are getting a little bit rougher out of the South Bay, especially in this 805 northbound. You've got the usual brake lights pretty much on both these freeways. The 5 and the 805 up to National City. But 805 getting quite heavy now from Market Street for a slow ride into North Park. And now you've got the usual stuff developing out of Kearney Mesa heading up over the 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The San Diego. Judge as far as I wore this. Brand new pantsuit for you. You look fantastic today. You can button that button right there. No, this is how you're supposed to wear it. Counsel, that is quite provocative. I'm going to let you know. I'm thirsty now. Well, she's wearing a bikini practically. It is embarrassing. Well, it's a new style. I see. What a shame. I've never seen a thong suit before. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 1053. Number one hip-hop song in the country.
Today is by Alicia Keys, and it's called Like You'll Never See Me Again. Got a pretty good voice. She's awesome. Absolutely the best voice we've heard yet this season. Three resounding yeses. You're going to Hollywood. It is 728. Gary Coleman has just announced that he's been married since August. Wow. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he's going to meet with Senator Arlen Specter today about Spygate. What did he do, send out a press release? Gosh, it was like on Access Hollywood or something like that. And he was doing an interview and said, yeah, that he married a 22-year-old woman on a mountaintop in August. And that she is his first romantic relationship that he has ever had. For real? Yes. Oh, my goodness. That's crazy. I'd press release it, too. Yeah, it's pretty crazy.
Of course, you all know Gary Coleman from the TV show Different Strokes, and last year he had that big hit, Rehab. Little Arnold drumming. Cut 19. Gary Coleman is a married man. Inside Edition can reveal exclusively that the Different Strokes star got married in a secret ceremony. The bride's name is Shannon Price, and she's nearly half his age and is a foot taller. In the middle of the night, I'm wondering, geez, what made me get married to this woman? And I just say love. Could you call Gary the real 40-year-old virgin? He says the 22-year-old Shannon isn't only his first wife, she's his first romantic relationship. I never got the opportunity to be romantic or feel romantic with anyone. Before Shannon?
Before Shannon, no. So you were, in effect, saving yourself for Shannon? No, I wasn't saving myself. She just happened to be the one. I think we understand what you're saying, Gary. Wow. I think we get it loud and clear. I mean, I wanted to do stuff, but... Yeah. I think he wanted to slap that guy across the face with, that's not what I'm saying, bro. Wow. Once you think about it a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. Let me break out a calculator for you. Zero plus zero. You know what that equals? Harry Coleman. Eddie and B-Rob, the end of the show yesterday, at the end of yesterday's show, P1 T-Rex called in. He said, I think the next challenge for Eddie and B-Rob should be, is it called go-kart? Go-kart racing? Kart racing? You guys know what this is. It's up in Carlsbad, all right? And they got these little cars, and you get in them, they go like 40 miles an hour. They're electric. It's crazy. And they jam. Yeah. And you get in them, and you race around a track. Did we talk to the people there yesterday? Yeah. Is it a done deal? Oh, they love it. They are all for it. What about a broadcast? K1 Racing, full broadcast. Holy cow. Can listeners go? Yeah. Okay, check this out.
So, K1 Racing, Carlsbad. The entire show is going to broadcast from there. Listeners can come out and watch as Eddie and B-Rob mix it up in a challenge racing little go-karts. I'd like you to call me Smoke from now on. You got it. Smoke. Smoke. As in, I'm going to smoke you, Rob? I'll call you Danica Patrick. That's what I'll call you. Oh, will you? Yeah. Well, what's going to be strange is like Eddie's knees are going to be sticking up out of the car and Rob will fit perfectly in the car. It's a disadvantage, but it's all right. Yes. I might need a couple of phone books, but. Now, wait a minute. I got to say this. We have had a challenge between Eddie and Rob in the past. It was racing. They did it in bikes, bicycles, little tricycles. Yeah. But Rob cheated. Yeah. Well, first of all, Eddie won. That is true. Eddie won. But Rob was trying. As I was pedaling, Rob was holding on to me and I was pedaling for both of us. You were not drifting. Yes, I was. It's a thing in NASCAR. Look it up. It ain't a thing in tricycles. I'll tell you that right now. You don't hold on to the other guy. That is bogus, man. That is bogus. You know that. You're a cheater. You are holding on to me. Look into it. Rob's been videotaping me driving. That's right.
Oh, my God. I hope you don't cheat. I hope you don't cheat when we do this, man. I'm going to send him so hard into the wall. Do we know when this is going to happen? We don't have a confirmation yet. It looks like it's probably going to be the 22nd of this month. That's awesome. But we'll get it confirmed everything today. That's a Friday. If we do that date, that'll be like a Friday. nervous for Eddie because you said Rob's going to fit perfectly into the car, so that will maybe give him an advantage. It could. It's going to be tough. Don't use this if you lose. First of all, I don't lose. Second of all, I don't make excuses. You have lost. No, I didn't. I didn't. Hey, I also want to let people know that one week from today, third day, is going to be in the studio. Playing acoustically. Great guys. And I play their song Tunnel at the end of the show on Fridays. Every Friday. It's this song right here. Guy's got a cool voice. His name is Mac. So they're coming into the studio and they're going to play that song acoustically in the studio. Then that night, they're playing at House of Blues. So a week from today, they're playing at House of Blues.
And my wife and I and a bunch of people are going to go to that. And I don't care if that concert's over at 1 o'clock in the morning. I'm going to be there until the end of it. Awesome! It takes a lot to get me to go to do anything, especially on a school night, on a Wednesday night. But I'm telling you, I'm going to be there. And they got to shut the place down. They'll be kicking me out the door. So I can't wait. And tickets are available through Ticketmaster. I don't know how much longer until that show sells out. But third day, week from today, House of Blues, Ticketmaster.com if you want to get tickets. And we're going to be giving away tickets next week. So we'll start giving away tickets Monday, Tuesday, and then day of the show we'll give away some tickets too. And why don't we try some of this out right here? Now, the show presents the search for the truth behind the words, the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play Lyrics. Lyrical Gangsta is a song that we do. Well, it's Lyrical Gangsta. Lyrical Gangsta is a game that we play where if you know lyrics to songs really well, you call us up. You've got to really know the lyrics to songs. You've got to pay attention. If you're not the type of person that listens to lyrics, don't call. Now, but you don't necessarily have to be gangsta.
So don't let that throw you off. As a matter of fact, not only do you not have to be gangsta, you could be like Sean and be a waver. That's true. Or you could be like Eddie and be into Pearl Jam and grunge stuff. Or you could be like Sky and Ashley and be into, or me, obviously, hip-hop. Yeah, for sure. You know, obviously, I'm huge in the hip-hop community. You could be like Rob and be into like Mariah Carey and Michelle Branch type music. Vanessa Carlton. Yep, some of his faves. So call us right now, 570-1053. These are the categories today. 80s pop music, hip-hop jams, and grunge rock. Nice. Those are your three categories. Up first, P1, Peanut. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? It's going good, man. How you doing? I'm doing great. You on your way to work? No, I'm actually getting done with a little workout. Oh, really? Yeah. Do you work? I do work. I'm in the Marine Corps, actually. There you go. How much you bench? Yeah, how much you bench, dude? I don't even pay attention to that. Yeah, me neither. They're the big ones. You know what? I just know I put three big giant cylinders on that thing.
Concrete cylinders. Paint cans and all that. Have a couple ladies sit on the end. Alright, so Peanut, your categories are 80s pop music, hip-hop jams, or grunge rock. What do you want? I'm going to have to go with grunge rock. You got it. Your question is, in the song Spoonman by Soundgarden, you come together with your what? Come together with my hands. Very well done. Nice. Hang on the line. Eddie, what's the prize today? We got a big prize. We got tickets to see the WWE next Tuesday, which is they're taping the big SmackDown ECW shows. And we got a pay-per-view of No Way Out this Sunday. Cool. Next up, P1 Patriots fan. Are you there, bro? Yeah. Sorry. Yeah, tough one. Patriots fan, where did you watch the Super Bowl? At my house. Do you have a bunch of Patriots fans over there?
Actually, I had no Patriots fans over there. Were they all... They're all neutral. All neutral. Are you mad at Rob for kind of screwing it up? Oh, interesting. No, I don't blame Rob for screwing it up. You should. You're the only one. I would. Your categories are 80s pop music, hip-hop jams, and grunge rock. I will take grunge rock. You got it. Your question is, in the song Rooster by Alice in Chains, His eyes burn with stinging sweat, and it seems every path leads him to where? What'd you say, bro? I'm a huge WWE fan. There you go, dude. You're going. Hang on. Hang on the line, will you? Perfect. All right. P1 Rudy is up next. Rudy, are you there? Rudy. Yeah, what's good? Hey, Rudy. What do you do, man? Our construction. Nice. Yeah, for sure. All right, dude. I'm going to give you some categories. What do you want? 80s pop music, hip-hop jams, or grunge rock? Hip-hop jams all the way. You got it. Your question is, in the song Lose Yourself by Eminem, there's vomit on his sweater already. What is it? Sky is so irritated at you. Joke. How dare you not know that what is on his sweater already is mom's spaghetti. His mom's sweaty, knees weak all the way.
Oh, wow. Yo, yo, yo. Sorry, dude. Eddie, Rudy didn't pull it out in the end. Well, you know, it was a disappointment. It's really sad. P1 Wendy. Hi. Wendy, what do you do? I work for an insurance company. How old are you? 37. Very nice. Class of 88 rules. I know. Where'd you go to high school? Ramona. Really? And I can read and write. Oh, wow. I think I know what category she's going to take. All right. Your categories are hip-hop jams, grunge rock, and 80s pop music. 80s pop music. Duh. Your question is, in the song Billie Jean by Michael Jackson, people always told him to be careful what you do. Don't go around breaking what? Young girl's heart. You got that right. So easy for her. Nice. Wow.
I'd like to say you did a really good job. Oh, Michael, that's sweet. What an honor. You did such a good job that I'm going to come over and build a condominium in your belly button. Wait, that's weird. It's really gross, but okay. And you'll have a living, breathing heart that I'll donate to science. Later, buy back and then make my child wear it as advisor. I don't. What? I don't know. Hang on the line, Wendy. You're going to see the WWE. Thank you. She's a big Undertaker fan. Well, she's from Ramona. Yeah, for sure. All right, this is what we're going to do. We're going to take a quick timeout, and when we come back, we're going to hear Boston Rob's new single drop. Oh. You've got the coaster ride looking pretty typical, actually, on the south side of the 5. The usual struggle here out of Lucadia all the way to Solana Beach. South 15 coming out of Escondido. That's a slow ride as well up to 78 down to Via Rancho Parkway. Now you're going to find some bunched up stuff from Carmel Mountain Ranch down into Poway. Poway Road is nice. Once you clear that, you're pretty much good to go down the rest of that stretch here. Getting kind of busy on the westbound 52, trying to get out of Santee this morning. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 7.55. The guy arrested for the UTC stabbing on Sunday says that he couldn't have done it because he was on the bus at the time. Looks like Shaq is going to make his son's debut tomorrow against Dallas. What did I say we were going to talk about when we came back? Well, I know you were talking about B-Rob's song. Oh, yeah. We're going to do B-Rob's song. Hello, B-Rob's song. Thank you very much. B-Rob, as you know. Is a singer-songwriter. True. Speak on it. And people really do love his work. We've been threatening for years now to do a concert at some point where we'll have him perform. Awesome. One day we'll actually come through on that threat. But he has a new song. And he is a supporter of Barack Obama. Ew. And with...
sweeping last night. Barack did very well last night. He swept the primaries in the states that they were doing this in. Where was it? It was Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Look at that. One of the states, he took it by 75%. That was D.C. In the District of Columbia, 75% of the people there said, we want Barack. That's crazy! Now, Boston Rob saw Written in chalk on a sidewalk that Obama means change. Yeah. Gonna change the world and I like that. And he saw it written in chalk and ever since he's been supporting Barack Obama. That's cool. So he wrote this. I like Barack and the polls don't lie. You other voters can't deny that a candidate that promises change in talks like MLK is the one. Hoping your vote is enough and his bumper sticker on my truck. This guy seems like he's carrying. I like the suit. He's wearing Obama. I want to get a clue and hear your lecture. Saw Hillary when she's touring. She's robotic and boring. And you're my MySpace friend. I'm choosy, choosy, but you're my presidential OG. I like talks of advancing to hell with bipartisans. He's cool, new, and on inhaling, told the truth. Not voting absentee. Going to a garage out in Santee. Take the average voter and ask him that.
Very nice. Well done. Well done. I would like to give him some blue chalk and have him write the entire lyrics out on a sidewalk right now. Mike, I'll do it. I got spare time. It really does sound amazing. So, ladies and gentlemen, that is his new song. It is called I Like Barack. So good. Very, very nice. Well done. Very good. Hey, you really pumped us up. I may need one today. Eddie is handing Sky a box of tissues. This better go good, you guys. Check this out. So we get this. Eddie hands me this email. He doesn't say anything. He just hands it to me, and it doesn't say anything. And he gives me this look like, mm-hmm. Listen to this email. Mikey, I have loved, loved, loved, in caps, hearing you guys do the secret crush thing on the air. Last week, when the girl said that she loved that the guy was tall because she was tall, it actually made me cry.
It was so sweet and I was so happy for her and him. I also cried because two years ago in Washington State, I had an awful accident when I was skiing with my then boyfriend and his family. It was a lower spinal cord injury and I won't bore you with the details, but it was really bad and I have been in a chair ever since. My boyfriend broke up with me the first month of my rehab. Oh, man. Which my dad says just meant that he wasn't the one. True, yeah. But it still hurt really, really bad. Even though I lost the use of both legs, I'm currently the most optimistic, happy, fun-loving, wheelchair-bound gal you will ever meet. That's awesome. Which brings me to why I am writing you. I heard you say that you never know about a potential relationship unless you try. And I am switching to a new building in two weeks at work, so I'm brave. Smiley face. So what I take that to mean is she's going to be making a transition from wherever she's at to another building, and she's getting to how she knows this guy. Can you help me tell my friend Josh at work that I have a crush on him? He has no idea. We work in the same building right now, and he is so sweet. We love the same TV shows, the same music, and he always makes me laugh and sometimes even breaks into NSYNC songs. Oh, man.
And in all capitals, it says, do not tell him I said that. Oh, well, you just did. Yeah. And I realized, oops, I read too far. I must not, I shouldn't have. Maybe I shouldn't have read that part. It's okay. We all work with somebody like that, right, Sean? All right, fine. Oh, I thought you were. Oh, no. Back in San Jose, Sean used to pop and lock and sing and sing. Yeah, Sean, how gay. It says, the problem is that sometimes I'm not sure if he is just interested in being friends or not. You would have to sort of relate to my situation to completely get it, but trust me on this one, Mikey, I'm not sure. Can you guys help? Signed, P1 Jenny. We have Jenny on the line. Hello, Jenny. Hello. How are you? I'm great. How are you guys? We're good. And your letter is extremely touching for a lot of reasons, but we just read a little bit about Josh.
You're going to get brave right now because you're going to be moving to a different building in a couple of weeks anyway. Tell us a little bit about Josh and why you are crazy about him. I love that he loves life. It's easy to make him laugh. He's very creative. He's a great listener. just outgoing like me, and I don't know, it just, it seems like I feel we could, I don't know, it's someone that I could really have something meaningful with. Now, up until now, it's just kind of been a thing where you guys are pretty good friends, you have a lot of fun, but you can't really tell if it's all about just being buddies, or if he actually might be interested. I mean, I, you know, since the accident, I was depressed for a while, and then I said, well, because I was very, I don't know, like, I had a very outgoing personality before, and I wasn't really afraid of trying a lot of things, and so that's why I've been trying to get back into that, you know, just being myself, and so...
I have a lot of great friends, and we all go out as a group, and sometimes he'll come out with some coworkers. Yeah, and so since now I'm moving buildings, I figured I might as well just say something now, and then if it's not mutual, then it's okay because we won't have to see each other as much. That's cool. I get that. I understand. Makes sense. Yeah. Well, his name is Josh. What does Josh look like? He has dark hair. It's not very, very short. It's like a little bit longer. It has a little bit of a wave to it. Let's see. He's a little bit mixed like me. I'm mixed ethnicity. So is he. And I know he has beautiful eyes. Beautiful eyes. It sounds hot. Yeah. And, you know, I'm trying to, the thing is, you know, I dated not a lot, a lot before the accident. But, you know, I did date. I had a very serious boyfriend right before the accident. And so part of me is like, no, I'm a pretty girl and I have a nice personality. But the thing, I'm just scared because it's a hard thing to have. It's a hard, you know what I mean? It's not like I'm dancing like I used to.
to very limited and i try not to let that you know get me down because i feel like i have a lot to give um jenny you do have a lot to give you do have a lot to give and we're gonna do this next and i want you to know something if it turns out great and he says that he feels the same way that's awesome and if it turns out that he doesn't feel the same way What you have to remember is that you are who you are before we make the phone call, and that's that. You are who you are before we make the phone call. If he says yes, you're awesome. If he says no, you're awesome. Either way, it doesn't matter, but you will never know unless you try it. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Don't be scared. Don't be scared. We're here for you. Yep. So we're going to have you do the talking. It's just that the deal is that you have to, and we tell this to the guys too. Girls are a lot better at this, but I'm going to tell the guys this, but I'm going to tell you too. When we get him on the phone, the key is to let him know what it is about him that just drives you crazy that you love, that just makes you kooky about him. That's the key. Guys love it. Guys love it as much as girls love it. They want to know what makes that difference. So I'm going to put you on hold.
We're going to take a timeout, and when we come back, we're calling Josh. Don't be nervous. Hang on. It's going to be great. Do it next. Don't go anywhere. Waking out is the hottest part. M-C-O. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Still looking at some tough spots out here this morning. You've got the busy ride here. We'll start off in the north county here as you work your way eastbound on the 78. Backing up here as you approach Emerald Drive. Pretty much all the way out in Pockets Alto to Rancho Santa Fe Road here. The southbound side of the 15. You've got some heavy traffic to deal with here as well from the 78. On down to Via Rancho Parkway. Scattered stuff into RB. And then again at the Carmel Mountain Ranch down in towards Poway.
The coaster ride, Southbound 5, has the usual tight stuff from Lucadia Boulevard and Isolana Beach. Your east county commute, well, it depends on what freeway you're traveling on here. The westbound 52, pretty typical with a slow ride up the top of the summit here out of Santee. The westbound 8, you've got a good-looking ride to La Mesa, but that's slow right around Waring Road. And then you've got the slow traffic here in past the queue up to Mission Center Road. The 94 King Freeway, that's been kind of a tough one here this morning. Still struggling from Euclid Avenue now all the way into downtown. Things are improving a little bit, though, out of the South Bay. Some better-looking speeds up through National City on both the 5 and 805 northbound. 805, still a little bit tidying to North Park, but then again out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. I'm McLaurin, and Rock 105.3. That's who I am as a guy. That's who I am. Yeah, but I don't... He doesn't like to hurt people's feelings. K-I-O-Z, San Diego's Rock. MyCricket.com slash San Diego. Would you want to be toasted? With your birthing gift. That's a fair question. To you and your labor. Maybe you could get me as a birthing gift a goblet. And we can kill two birds. Can we please stay on topic? Please. One goblet. Tommy! To the bird. To my vagine. Ladies and gentlemen. May it return to full.
To a dilation of 12 centimeters. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey Show at 8.13. Aretha Franklin is upset that Beyonce introduced Tina Turner as the queen at the Grammys. Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch placed on a six-race probation after a confrontation between the two. So this one is good. We are still doing something called Secret Crush. Which is, it's kind of a different twist on the Cheaters Hotel idea. And basically the idea is, do you have a crush on somebody and you want to be able to tell them? That's what this is. So we got an email from Jenny. Let's see. Jenny, are you there? We got an email from you. Oh, you sound nervous. You sound nervous. Don't be too nervous. It's going to be all right.
A terrible accident a couple of years ago in Washington State. She was skiing with her then boyfriend and his family. Got a lower spinal cord injury. She's in a chair right now. But one thing that I thought was really, really cool reading your email is that you said that you are the most optimistic, happy, fun-loving, wheelchair-bound gal we will ever meet. And I think that's very cool. You would like us to let Josh know that you have a secret crush on him. He works with you. You're going to be changing buildings in a couple of weeks. So you said, caution to the wind, I'm telling him. And so we're going to facilitate. You're going to be telling. And so that's what we're going to do right now. We're going to call him and try not to be nervous. It's a 951 area code. What is that? Oh, well, he lives in Riverside, but he works down here in San Diego. Okay. Let's do it up. Oh, man. Hi, can I speak to Josh, please? Yeah, this is Josh. Hey, Josh, what's up, man? This is Mikey from Rock 105 from the Mikey Morning Show. How are you doing this morning, man? I'm pretty good. Not every day that you get a phone call from a radio show, right? No, no, that took me off guard here.
Okay. What's up? Yeah, what's up? What's the phrase that pays, Josh? Hey, listen, Josh. The reason that we're calling you this morning is because we do something here called Secret Crush. And somebody that you know has a secret crush on you. Yes. Somebody that you work with and that you have a pretty good relationship with. Do you have, maybe I don't want to ask you if you have any guesses, because if you say the wrong person, that could kind of ruin everything. But I'm going to let you know who's on the line now, and then I'm going to let that person talk to you. And we thought that this might be a good idea on February 13th, day before Valentine's Day. Josh, Jenny is on the line. Jenny, say hi. Hey, Joshy. Wow. It's Jenny. What's up? Hey. Hey, Jenny. Hey. Jenny, I want you to tell Josh basically what you told us. Well, um, well, Joshy, um... Do you call him Joshy? Love it. Um, we've been pretty good friends, co-workers and friends, um...
the last, what, year and a half or so that I've been with the company. And I just wanted to tell you that I love our friendship. I think that you're an amazing person. Are you still there? Yeah, yeah, I'm totally here. You have such an intelligent sense of humor, you know, that I feel I get and not a lot of other people get, like through your emails or... Um, you, you blow my mind sometimes. I love your laugh. I love that you challenge my mind. Like, you'll, you'll come in and you'll talk about politics or you, you'll bring in a book that I have to read that's, but yet you'll watch like Top Chef and Project Runway, you know, and, and, um, I, I love that you're goofy and, and, and I, and I love your voice. Um, When you sing, I like that you're not afraid to make fun of me when I do goofy things or when my hair looks weird or when I overanalyze things. Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is, you know, it's been hard for me a little bit because as far as dating goes, you know, I've gone on a couple of dates since my accident.
I didn't feel a connection with those guys. And I felt like, you know, I'm not afraid to say, listen, I don't feel a connection and I don't need to feel desperate just because I maybe can't, you know, go out running or dancing like I used to, but I still, you know, go to the gym and I'm still, you know, I still get out there. I still have a lot of great friends. I'm not afraid to travel. So I just... wanted to say that i feel a connection with you and i i don't know how you feel i i know that it seems like there's an attraction between us because um we do kind of flirt but i don't know if you're just being nice you know um because you feel bad and what i want to say is i would love to take you out and uh for dinner as um more than a friend or a co-worker and and um and you don't have to feel bad if the feeling is not mutual and we can still be cool but i um that's i don't know josh are you there yeah i'm just sort of a little speechless right now because i i actually feel the exact same way but i she's uh i guess i just always assumed that you were sort of out of my league you're so outgoing and you're so affable and everybody seems to like you i always thought that uh
that it was sort of a long shot. And I know we do have a connection, I guess. Yeah, yes, the answer is yes. That is awesome. It's like almost actually like this whole time, like with tears in my eyes because it's been a long time since I've met someone, you know what I mean? That's so wonderful, but also it's really hard to put yourself out there on the radio, but also just in general, you know? I'm glad you did. I'm really glad you did. How does it make you feel, Jenny, that he said that... I'm so glad that you had the confidence to say it to me because I feel the same way. It's like we're not here. They're like in their own world. It's so cute. Jenny, how did it make you feel when he said that he honestly didn't know that if he was in your league? You know, it's so flattering. You know, when before the accident, you know, guys would kind of would say nice little compliments and you take it as...
before I used to take it as, you know, maybe they're being sincere, maybe they're just trying to get in my pants, maybe they're just that. Then, you know, after the accident, you know, it does, I had to, to really work on my self-esteem again to say, wait a minute, you know, um, I'm worthy of, of, you know what I mean? Someone, someone, I can't, like, settle. Mm-hmm. Well, that's, that's pretty. It's nice, but I never thought that, I never thought that before the accident, because I always took it as a very nice compliment, you know, it's, after the accident, you know, then you start to think people feel sorry for me. So Josh, Josh, can you tell me what you, what does she look like? She's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. She has dark hair, you know, she's mixed ethnicity just like me, so we have sort of this like, we have a similar look, you know. She has a gorgeous, gorgeous smile. She's beautiful, like she's Hey, Josh, what's up with you singing NSYNC songs? Yeah, Josh, she mentioned... Hey, guys. She did... Hey, Josh. Josh, she did mention that you like to sing NSYNC songs every once in a while. Can I give us some of that, Joshy? You said that? Bye-bye-bye. That's right. Nice. Something like a little bye-bye-bye. I love it. It looks like... It looks like another good... It's another good connection. Yeah.
Wow, that was cool. Hey, hang on the line, you two. I want to give you something. Hang on a second. What do you think? Not bad, huh? Mikey's show continues. Mike is a f***er. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Well, the ride is improving here a little bit here, especially out of the South Bay to work your way northbound on both the 5 and the 805. Right now, you've got better looking speeds up through Nashville City. 805 is a brief glitch into North Park, and then you've got the usual stuff here out of Kearney Mesa still to deal with over the 52. Northbound 5, a little bit of a delay in the downtown S-curve, and now a bit of a slowdown as well into Mission Bay. West 94, that's improved quite a bit. Just a brief glitch at the 805 as you make that northbound transition. Another slowdown from
28th Street in the downtown. Your West 8th ride this morning is a little bit tight from the 805 and past the Q to Mission Center Road, but that's a big improvement as well. Heading south in the 15, you've got better looking speeds out of Escondido, but you will find some slow traffic out of Ranch to Bernardo. And that stays with you through Carmel Mountain Ranch down into Poway before it lets you loose there. The coaster ride, as always, that's always kind of heavy on the Southbound 5. Right now, it's out of Encinitas in the Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock, 405.3. P1s, I got to tell you about this website. I'm a huge fan. www.kudzu.com. It's like mud, but with a K, and then ZU.com. This is a website that is slowly becoming the best resource in San Diego, and this is why. It's like... Three websites in one. You can find directions. You can find different places, businesses, restaurants in your area. You can find reviews on how these businesses are, whether they're good or bad, whether they're recommended or not for you to use them, all in one website. You don't need to go here and then there. That's what I always used to have to do, and it would make it so difficult. Or I would have to call my neighbor and say, do you maybe know, like a good mechanic, or do you know someone who could maybe do this? And most of the time...
that can't even be that reliable because you don't know where they've been or who they've seen kudzu.com has it all there for you you're looking for a mechanic type it in type in your area it will give you a list of businesses a list of mechanics with reviews from people who have used it saying whether or not it's good or bad It's so convenient. It's so easy. And the best part is it's all at, like, the tip of your finger. So when you're at your work or you're at your computer, you're bored, you got some time, you got to check this website out. It's got everything you need. Kudzu.com. It does the walking for you. And don't forget, if you get on there and write 10 reviews of different businesses you've used, which I've already written, like, four, it's really easy, you'll receive a $25 gift certificate to restaurant.com. You get hooked up. A little gift certificate. So check it out today. It's www. Kudzu. That's K-U-D-Z-U dot com. Now more of the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. The show members refer to me as Memento because I can't remember anything. Eddie. I feel like I'm a responsible guy. Sky. I am a social eater. Sean. I like it when the Indian dude at the convenience store calls me boss. Boston Rob. I have a claim to be a genius. And Ashley. I can't even imagine my life without water. On a rock 105.3. Did I have a very, uh,
feminine side. I understand that. I embrace it. It's who I am. But I got to tell you, I enjoyed that. Yeah, if that didn't make the hair stand up on the back of your neck or, you know, on your arms or whatever, then you're not live. Thank you, Eddie. You have no heart. Yep. 570-1053 is our phone number. P1G-Dub is on the line. Hey, Mike. How you doing today? What's up, dude? Nothing, man. I just had to call in after that hookup. That was just... That was the dopest hookup you guys have had yet. Yeah. Were you guys worried? I was kind of worried. When's the Hallmark movie come out for that one? Right. You know what I would, you know, were you, G-Dub, were you worried? At first, yeah. I was too. Yeah, a little bit. And then, I mean, it just, it hit home. And yeah, like Eddie said, the hair on the back of my neck was just standing up after that. The reason that, the reason that I was, I get chills, you know, I get chills like when certain, when the stuff happens.
Yes, exactly. I almost cried. The reason, well, you know, Zeth is just a mess. He's in control of him. We had to send him home. He just finally had to say, go home. You need to go home and get yourself together. You've got to take a nap. You've got to take a nap. When you wake up, you'll feel better. But, no, the thing was is that I felt like she needed that confidence boost, you know? Yeah. And when she got on the phone with him, as soon as she said, are you still there? I was like, oh, no. Because I knew she was nervous. I knew that was a sign of just major nervous. And also, she was kind of going on. And I was like, okay, wrap it up, wrap it up, just wrap it up. You're doing great, but just wrap it up. But I have a feeling that he knew right from the very beginning. Yeah. it was going to be smooth sailing he just wanted to hear her say how much she liked him which is cool yeah well the point i got really nervous at is after she finished her deal and like asked him out on a date and then she said something like what do you think and he like was quiet for a second and i'm like oh no he's like trying to think of a nice way to like let her down but it just seemed like he was stunned because he was so into it too see i got a good vibe right right out of the gate when he goes
When you said, we have Jenny on the line, and he goes, oh, wow. Like, I was like, oh, I think this is going to be okay. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't know how to interpret the wow. So, I was a little nervous. Well, I, you know, what I thought about that was, well, that sounded nice. You know, no doubt about it. I think that what still had me worried a little bit is just the, oh, yeah, you know, I really like her. She's a really sweet girl. We're good friends. What I was worried about was, yeah, and I'm totally ready to take it to the next level. But he was. That's so cool. P1 Talon. Hey, good morning, Mikey. What's up, dude? That bit is brilliant. Yeah. I love that thing. It's so much better than Cheaters Hotel. You know, it's just great. You should keep doing that. You know, I was talking to my wife about it, and I said two things. There's two big parts to this. One is... I agree with you, and I personally like it more than Cheaters Hotel because it makes me feel good and everything. You guys, don't forget something. Yes, Mike, say it. They've all said yes. Yes, up to this point, they have. Think about today and how today would have made you feel if she had said no or if he had said no. Now, I got to tell you, just honestly, just kind of like where I am in my life, I enjoy this.
phenomenally more than the infidelity. Infidelity is compelling to listen to, but it makes you feel so icky when you're listening to people's lives being crushed. But I'm telling you that I'm willing to do this thing. I'm just telling you, we haven't got there yet to the part where the person says, that's really nice. Yeah, but I'm good. But I'm good. Yeah. I'm not interested. As soon as we hear that but, that's when it's... You know what I mean? So anyway, Taylor, I appreciate it, man. And I'm going to take it into consideration because we've gotten a lot of emails about it and we've certainly gotten a lot of phone calls about it of people that really love it. Maybe we do it in addition to. Yeah, we'll see. Yeah, that'd be a good idea. Cool, man. P1 Shannon. Yeah, hi. I am a school bus driver, and I have now got all the kids wanting to listen to the Mikey show in the morning. They usually listen to another radio station, but I won't allow it. And you had us in tears this morning. Me and some of the girls were definitely crying. Oh, the guys were, too. They're just trying to hide it. Biting their lip. Trying to be cool. Exactly. They are better at hiding it than the girls. The girls just let it go, and the guys try to pretend that they are thinking about something else. Yeah, but they were talking about it as they were getting off the bus.
Yeah. We got a guy on the line right now that says, I'll admit it, Green Man, you there? Yeah, I'm here, Mikey. Go ahead, dude. You know, this is the third week in a row that I've got in, which is ironic because I can never get in for the people in trivia. But anyway, I got myself emasculated in front of all of San Diego. I'm crying. Wow. Wow. I kid you not. The first week. I made my wife listen to the best of it on Saturday. So I'm making her into a P1. And she said, oh, my God, honey, you were gushing. I almost cried. Now, where were you when said tears began to come? I was getting ready to go on a job interview. And now my face is all puffy. I'm a frigging rat. That is great. That is great. Thank you, guys. so, so much for this, for this, you know, boost of joy at the beginning of the day. I love your show. Never gonna stop listening no matter where we go. You guys are awesome. That's awesome, dude. Good luck on the job. Hey, thanks so much. On the job interview. We'll see you later. That dude was gay, bro. Hey! Knock it off. I never cry. Well, I've seen you cry several times. Yeah. Many times. Like the time you fell off your skateboard. Yeah. And you busted up your chin. Yep.
What's up, dude? Yeah, you did. You're bawling like a little baby. Like a little girl. That was one time, bro. Yeah, it was like two weeks ago. It's like a skinned knee and you're bawling, dude. Dude, all I'm saying is, dude, love is not real. What does that mean? What do you know you're 14? Please. You don't even like girls. Dude, I've been with, like, my last old lady, dude, she was married. She was married? She's not married. Yeah, dude, she's married, you know? How old was she? She's like 40. Yeah. That's cool. That is illegal. Yeah, dude, and I was all, and I was all, what's up, man? You better leave him, and you better, you better, you know, is this for real or not, man? Yeah. She broke your heart. And I was all saying that, dude, and then she was all, what about my kids with you? Ha! What about my kids with you? You have kids with a married lady. Yeah, dude. And we were sending them to private school. Both of you? You don't even have a job. Were they going to the same school as you? Are you guys in the same class? Yeah, dude. And she was all, I need time. You watch too much TV. No more days of our lives for you. And I was all, no, dude. You tell your husband, Roman.
And I was all, break divorce papers. Enough. We're sure. Thank you, Beto. So, yeah, dude, finally I just shot him. No, you didn't. Don't say that. You can't say things like that. What did Marlena say about that? It's illegal. She was all, hey, man, you can't kill him like that. And I was all, oh, did I tell you what her name was? No, you didn't. It was Marlena. These are days of our lives. And I was all, Marlena. And then Bo and Hope came to the scene of the crime. That's their neighbor, dude. I know, yeah. Enough. That's crazy. Now it's all, wow. Now I want to do stuff with you. Get out of here. It's my nephew, Betta. It's so ridiculous, you know. So, you got an email on it. OMG, I'm not a sappy person. I'm 33, have two kids, have been married too long, I guess.
The other secret crushes were so sweet, but I swear this one made me cry. I was in the middle of running on the treadmill and had to stop because I was crying on the treadmill. Cheaters Hotel. That's got to look funny. No matter what way you slice it. Sorry. Cheaters Hotel was intense and kept me listening, but was usually pretty painful to hear. Secret crush is great. Keep it up. That's P1 Supermom. That's right. Yeah, dude, I went out with her for that. You did? You did not go out with Superball. Yeah, dude. She was a lady. Yeah, and she broke up with me because I tried to get her to drink vodka all the time. And I was all, just do it, just do it. And she'd look at me, she'd be like, you're a bad boy. And I'd be all, come on, man. It's just like, you don't have to be a wimp all the time. You're always acting like you're a child. What? She's acting like a child. And then this one time, and then this one time, super mom, she looked at me and she was all, okay, dude, can we make love? Okay, no. You are ridiculous. She did not. Nobody says that. And I was all, and I was all, and I lied to her, dude. I was all, shut up, let me hold you. That is weird. I was too fast for her, dude, because I live life enough fast. No, you're not. You're 14. My nephew, Betta. So, did anybody happen to catch a television program last night called Big Brother? Yeah.
Let's discuss. Well, now I want to talk to Quimby. So Quimby better call in because she is a big Big Brother fan. Now, last night they were starting the first episode of the season with this TV show Big Brother. Now, I was asleep early. I happened to miss the show. Now, hang on a minute. But Eddie says, Eddie says he has a lot of thoughts on this show and they might not be good. Oh, no. And I've read his blog. Yeah. And it looks like Eddie is a little disappointed with some aspects of the TV show Big Brother. It was the first episode. So I'm trying to be fair and not judge too quickly. But from what I saw last night, I hated it. That's not true. Hate is a strong word. It's a strong word. It's a strong word. It was awful. Eddie, you hated it? Who all saw it? I did. Is that it? I did. Sean, you saw it? Yeah. What did you think, Sean? I really enjoyed it. Yeah, Sean. He's seen every season. Eddie, why did you not like it? Well, they are doing this new concept. It's called Till Death Do Us Part. Yeah. And what it was was they are hooking people up. Everybody in the house is single. And they've partnered them up with people who they are saying are their potential soulmates.
How did they do? Did they explain how they did that? Basically through interviews. You know how they have to go through all the personality testing just to qualify for the show? They did a kind of e-harmony matchup. Question. So do they tell them? They say, hey, this is what we've done? Yes. And then they say, you sit with you. Really? There's twists. Everything that goes on in the house will be as partners. You'll be voted out as partners. You'll be head of household as partners. You'll be nominated. You'll be doing the challenges as partners. Everything's as partners. Now, there's a couple of weird things that are going on. One, there are an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend of 12 years just recently broke up because the guy cheated on her. They are partnered. Yeah, but they didn't know that each other was going to be in the house. So until they actually entered the house and the door closed, they saw each other and then... Which was really creepy and really kind of gross. Very quickly, their background was, what now? They were boyfriend and girlfriend for 12 years. The guy cheated on her pretty recently. Yeah. And you can tell she's like heartbroken. She hates him. She hates him because she's so heartbroken. She was shaking. Like when you walked in, you could see her shaking. And they partner them up. Yeah, because Big Brother says they're soulmates. So that's one.
Then the other one, the other really disgusting one to me, they have a boyfriend and girlfriend in the house who are currently boyfriend and girlfriend, but the rest of the house doesn't know that they're boyfriend and girlfriend. Okay. And they split them up with different partners. Why? Because they think they're soulmates? That's what they're saying. Because when they went into the house, they knew their boyfriend and girlfriend, but they didn't know this whole till death do us part twist. So they thought they were going to be able to work together. Yeah, they thought they were going to be playing regular Big Brother and scheme and keep their secret from everybody. And then when they found out the twist, they were like, are we going to be partnered up together as soulmates? Or no, they wouldn't put us with somebody else because they have to sleep in the same bed as their partner. You know, like everything. Yeah. partnered up with different people. There is no way. I don't think I can watch that. There's no way. I didn't like it. And in the intro, this couple, when they're doing their intro before they even go in the house, they're talking about how...
As a couple, one of their downfalls is jealousy issues. Oh, boy. So they're setting them up. It's not easy. It's not easy. It sounds so dirty and so slimy. I don't like it. I don't like it. It's awesome. The reason it seems so strange to me is they don't need to. They don't. It's unnecessary. They get all of that craziness just with putting people in a house. And what I like about Big Brother is the individual game. I love the scheming and lying and backstabbing and twisting. I love all that stuff, and you're not going to get that with couples because everybody's going to have their own strategy. So I'm a little disappointed so far. Well, what I think is so creepy is how it sounds like the show went out of its way to go, how can we create dissension? Oh, yeah. heartbreak and how can we create... And then there's this older lady. Talk about it. Crazy. Because everybody's kind of in their 20s. Yeah, everybody's around the same age. Yeah. Then they put this older lady who's about 46. She's a good looking gal. You know, I mean, she was apparently a former model. But she's a huge beating. And they partnered her with like a 29-year-old guy. And he's immediately like, what's with the old lady? Like, I don't want to be partnered with her. And she is like...
The guy's gross. I don't want to be with that guy. He stinks. Yeah, like he's kind of thinking in his head, but he doesn't say anything. But he's probably the least attractive of all the guys. She is so vocal. Like she's rolling her eyes and like, oh, I'm paired with this guy. He stinks. He's like pudgy. Yeah, like she's like talking smack like right to his face. Yeah. She's like, this is my soulmate? Yeah, right. I don't even want to be in the game. She says to him, she goes, you're my soulmate? No, I like guys that are tall, dark, and handsome. Oh, boy. Yeah, so you're like, ew, I hate all these people. P1 Squirrely, are you there? Yeah. Now, Squirrely, the lady that they're just talking about, is that the new evil dick? No, I was going to say... The black guy, Parker, because he was getting in people's faces. And BBAD almost got in a fight with Ryan. Oh, I haven't seen BBAD yet. Haven't either. We have a person on the line whose friend is in the house right now. No way. Shut up. Is on the show. So let's talk to her. P1 Jill, are you there? Yes. Hi, Mikey. Who's your friend? Hi. Who's your friend? Jen. She's the one.
She's the one that's the girlfriend. She's the girlfriend who split up with her boyfriend. Yeah. What can you tell us about their relationship? Okay, well, I've only met... She was out here a couple months ago with her other boyfriend. And then this one, I met in October when I went home to Ohio. And she... Wait, wait, wait. Slow down. Okay. You met this guy that she's in this house with on the show Big Brother. You met him in October? Right. When you went home to... They're from Ohio. Yeah. You're all from Ohio. Right. And you're living here in San Diego. Yes. Okay. So I went home and met him for the first time. And when we had dinner with them, met him for the first time. And then when we left, my boyfriend asked Jen, like, why, you know, what's with this guy? And she just looked at him and said, trust fun, baby. Trust fun. Trust fun, baby. Trust fun, baby. So is the relationship for real? I don't know. Yeah, because she, because Jen is like super, super hot. Like, she's probably the hottest girl in there. And this guy's attractive, but he isn't on her level of hotness, if we're to be honest. So this is not the girl that got real upset because he cheated on her? No, no, no. This is the secret couple. Oh, the secret couple. That's a couple right now that was split up with other partners. And they can't tell anyone on the show that they're together.
Okay, so she probably doesn't really care then. I don't know. I mean, we'll see, but... Yeah, it definitely seems like he's a lot more upset about it than... Well, it's definitely screwing their game up. She is, yeah. But as far as couple-wise, yeah. Yeah, and I think she does really like him, but I think she's also trying to, like, you know, just get to California. You know, I think this is kind of like her ticket to, like, get out here. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. So I think the show is kind of... But you guys are from Ohio. Yeah. We went to college together. There you go. Anyways, so I just think it's kind of funny. That's crazy! I think it's just kind of funny that, I don't know, we'll see how it plays out, but I just kind of wanted to. Hey, Jill, can we put you on hold, and as the season unfolds, maybe every once in a while, we'll just check in with you and see what you think? Yeah, I don't have, and I obviously can't talk to her, but yeah, I'll definitely be watching the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll just watch it along with you, like, you know. Get your take. Hang on a second. Okay. Yeah, yeah, because you know her. She's a friend of yours. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, how are you? Good. Is there any chance of getting on the air with Mikey? You're on the air, bro. This is Mikey. Mikey, your show sucks. All right, dude. It's not for everybody, brother. It's not for everybody. Mikey, I've been listening to your show for a couple of years. I listened yesterday. I was mildly entertained. I want to ask you a question. Sure. Do you know that you have a classical music station that moved in next door? I did not. You do? That's great, brother. It makes old people really angry when they have to listen to your cobble cook on our classical station.
But why they engineered a station next to a powerhouse like 105.3, I'll never know. Oh, I know what you're saying. I think I know what you're saying. You're saying that people are trying to enjoy classical music, but my signal is bleeding over into it. And the quality of your show is in the signal. Okay, and I understand what you're saying, but sir, you realize that I have no say at all where our frequency is. You need a bigger ego, Mikey. Your ego is not as big as my ego. I will box you for your job. Well, brother, let me tell you one more time. I want to be a guest on your show. Okay, listen. I don't control the power of 105.3. See, that's the difference between you and me. If I was in the catbird seat, I would be fully in control and accept responsibility for everything. That's why my ego is entirely bigger than yours. Yeah, it is. There's no doubt about that. You were not born to be on the air, but I like that. Okay. I was born to be on the air. And Boston, Mike?
I got a hat for you right here. It's got a big B on it for bonehead. Now, wait a second, sir. Now, what did you just say about me? Maybe we can audition. Maybe we can audition. Dinosaur? Hang on a second. Maybe we can audition him and he can get a job here at 105. I live in Jabamba. Okay. Okay. Now, let me ask you a question. Would you be interested in having a job here on the air? Absolutely. Okay. Now, do you have any experience? Absolutely. What have you done? I've been in the studio with Dave Dawson. I'm sitting in front of a CB radio station. Okay. All right. I broadcast out of two ravioli cans and paper towel rolls. Okay. Well, listen. Hey, listen. That's some experience. I understand. I can bring a little bit of seasoning to your show. I understand. Just maybe one time. Boston Mike is way too comfortable. Who's Boston Mike, by the way? No, no, no, sir. I'm not. No, no, no. There is no Boston Mike on the show. Sir, there's no Boston Mike. I'm Mikey, and then there's a Boston Rob on the show. Yeah. I got a blow up doll of each of you. I gotcha. I gotcha. No, hey, no, listen. I could bring a little something to the show. Hang on a second. It just so happens. Hang on. It just so happens that we may be hiring. I don't even want to get paid. Well, then even better. I work for free. Even better. I take the Mikey show in the pants for free in the rain. Okay, now when are you available to work? Right now. No, I don't want him. Tomorrow. Hang on a second. Uh-uh. Now, your experience is a CB radio.
Yeah, and I've also done some work with 91X. Okay. I've done some work with Dave Dawson. Who is Dave Dawson? Dave Dawson's dead. Okay. Okay. Okay. But what did Dave Dawson do when he was alive? He had me in the studio on AM, back in the AM days. What station? Kogo. Oh, that's a turd. It is. Yeah, that's a turd. Hey, what are we going to do about KCBQ? Why don't you... Yes. Why don't we pon up the money to... Modern oldies. Yeah, KCBQ. I used to work there. How about that? How did you get your start in radio? Did you fall out of a burrito? CB. CB. And I fell out of a burrito. I did. I actually, listen. A lot of people don't realize I actually fell out of a burrito. Was it Mataka? No, it was Carnius. Well, it was an Esther burrito. It was 1970. Quality of the bean. Gotcha. Well, listen. I think you sound like a funny guy. And I think people might enjoy you on the air. How old a guy are you? I'm fossilized. You need Indiana Jones to haul me into the studio. How old are you? I'm 65. Are you really? No, you're not. No, come on. What year were you born? 1965. Oh, no, then you're not 65. How old are you? I'm younger than you by about a couple years. I'm about 40. Say again? 43. Hey, listen, if you're honest with me, I might give you a break here.
Well, you already gave me a break. We're live on the air. I understand, but wouldn't you like to be able to do it on a regular basis? Yeah, absolutely. Chris Cantore calls me and Ruggy calls me whenever they want. You got my phone number. You want some free entertainment. I'll get clear and conscious and ready to rock and roll. Okay, but how old are you? I don't know. I'm as old as Indiana Jones. What year were you born? 1965, Mikey. When were you born? Were you really born in 65? Absolutely. When were you born? Yeah, I believe it. 70. I was born in 1970. What do you do for a living? I'm a body worker. You're a body worker? I work on human bodies. And then I crawl all up in their brains and tickle them with ice picks in my spare time. Okay. Now, I'm going to ask you a couple of questions. I want you to be really honest. You got it, Mike. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. Mikey. Well, I don't know how to phrase it. Do you know that you're sitting in front of a 50,000-watt powerhouse? You need to be conscious of the power. No, actually, listen, listen. Please answer my questions. You owe it to the people to be entertaining. Please, please answer my questions. Go ahead. What do you currently do for work? Work? I'm not a pencil-pushing number-crunch-a-wage slave. I'm not a maximum loser working for minimum wage. How do you pay your rent? Do you get a check from the government? I live on socialism. You contribute to your abilities and go in there and try and be funny. I gotcha. And I collect a check.
You contribute according to your abilities, and I take according to my needs. Now, what's wrong with that equation is I was born to be on the air or do body work, but that's not happening. So instead, wait a minute, wait a minute. So you collect a check from the government. Yeah. But you sound capable of work. Yeah. Why are you sucking money? I can't put that on the air. That's an interesting guy. I do think he's an interesting guy, but I can't. I can't put that on the radio. He's scaring me. I would, like, file a report. I'd call 911 right now. I really want to. I'm seriously scared. He sounds like a serial killer. He doesn't sound like a serial killer.
And then he said Dave Dawson is dead, and we never asked how. Hang on a second. You guys, he's like Dennis Hopper, though. He's like Dennis Hopper in Apocalypse Now. I think he's interesting. Which is crazy. I'd like to talk to him more. It's just that he can't say certain stuff on the radio. He doesn't know that. I want to hear him do the whole... It's like fractions, man. You can't sit on ones and twos and fives. You can't do that, man. It's infinite. It's like the planetary system, man. There's like a solar system. You can't try to break it down into how many parts. All right, we'll be back with him. We're going to put him on hold. We'll come back. No, we'll talk to him a little bit more. It's the Mikey Show. We'll be right back. We've been to something more comfortable. It's Mikey. On Rock 105.3. As the owner of a small record label, This tour bus is my office. And to manage gigs in 11 towns, you have to stay connected. Hey, I want to let you know, I just bought a new truck through a local dealership, and I had never had insurance before. And if I would have went with the insurance that they offered, I would have been paying $1,500 a year, so I figured I'd check out AIS. I got the same coverage through AIS for like $400 and some change.
Are you serious? That's for the whole year. I couldn't believe it. Oh, dude. I love hearing it. I can't thank you enough, man. Now I can actually make my payment. 1-800-777-4AIS. It's 1-800-777-4247. Welcome back. 906.
It must run in the family. Paris Hilton's 18-year-old brother, Barron, was arrested yesterday morning for DUI. Indiana College basketball is in some hot water. Calvin Sampson and two Indiana assistants face five potentially major recruiting violations. M-Tube finalists, let's talk about it. If you want to see the five finalists in the M-Tube competition. All you got to do is go to Mikeyshow.com right now. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. When you get there, they got a keyword thing. You just put your cursor in there, type in the keyword finals, and then hit enter. You're good to go. Skye is still sipping on coffee that she poured this morning at 5 a.m. I'm actually sipping on gin and juice. I thought you were sipping on coffee, but it turns out, no, she's not sipping on coffee. She's sipping on something completely different. She's being whispered. Sipping on gin and juice. I'm in. That's how I roll, Ashley. I love Skye when she gets drunk. So let's talk about these. Yeah. We got five finalists. And you can watch the videos and then vote. What you do is, right now, go to MikeyShow.com, type in finals in the keyword, and you're going to see five videos. The first one is Gangsta Pandas. Awesome. What did you guys think of Gangsta Pandas? So funny, man. I love it.
It's pretty good. I mean, what you're looking at, basically, is a bunch of panda bears, and I'm sure Sean wouldn't. Sean, have you seen Gangsta Pandas? I have avoided that one. All right. Yeah, it's one of the only ones that you really don't have to be familiar with the Mikey Show to still enjoy. Like, you can enjoy that regardless. Absolutely. No doubt about it. Like, it could become a viral video. Definitely. The next one is so hysterical. It's the Mikey Show real world. Yeah. And it's great. What they did was, it's two girls that did this. And it is one of the most, I don't even know how they did it because it's very like choreographed. I don't know how they did it either. It was pretty impressive. It's very choreographed, very cleverly written. And what it is, is they took actual pictures of us and cut them out with like scissors. And they move the camera around in such a way that they go on to different sets and different backgrounds and with pictures of us and funny comments. And it's just, it's amazing how it all kind of works together. Yeah, for sure. And that one is called The Mikey Show Real World. The next one is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Ham. Unbelievable. I mean, I thought they had Spielberg working for him. Really? I like ham.
You watch this thing. I mean, there must have been a budget. It's suspenseful. It is. It's compelling. Like, you want to know, is the ham going to, like, are they going to make it out of the Temple of Ham? Come get some ham. And they have a bigger star than Harrison Ford. Oh, you must be talking about the surprise ending. Oh, yeah. It's true. Which is unreal. But it's extraordinarily well done. That's correct. Extraordinarily well done. That's the third one. The fourth one is to catch a Mikey Show listener. and it is a mock-up of To Catch a Predator. Yeah. Laugh out loud. Guy sounds just like Chris Hansen in the video. You're telling me a big fat lie. And basically, it's a guy that is a P1, and he gets caught red-handed being a P1. Yeah. He's even wearing a Skies of Beating t-shirt, which is a dead giveaway. Not necessary. And I like when the Chris Hansen character says to him, you're wearing a T-shirt that says Skies a Beating. And then video number five is called Hitler Loses the Mikey Show. And it is from a, it's an actual movie about Hitler. And the actor that's playing Hitler in this scene is flipping out. And the subtitles on the bottom of the screen.
have been changed, and they're all about The Mikey Show, and it's hysterical. My house! So, what I encourage you to do is go and watch all five of these videos. Watch them all. Don't vote unless you've seen them all. Be informed. That's right. Nice. Yep, that's what you gotta do. Watch them all, and then send in your vote. There's a way for you to click right there on which one you want. And the winner is going to win a brand new high-definition camcorder. Wow. Very cool. P1 James from Boston is on the line. Hey, Mikey. What's going on, man? How you doing? Good. Hey, I had a question for you. What's up? I wanted to get your opinion on what Natalie Cole said about Amy Winehouse not deserving to win the Grammys. I'm real against that. I was so against that. I heard you begin to talk about it yesterday, but I didn't really hear everything he had to say, and I just wanted to have you fill in the dots. Yeah, I kind of feel this. You can listen off the air. I'll give you my opinion on it. Thanks, Mikey. I basically feel, if you didn't know, Natalie Cole, the daughter of Nat King Cole, just came out and said she thought it was really wrong that Amy Winehouse won a Grammy. She thinks it's a bad thing to show to kids and all of this kind of stuff, right? Right.
And I feel very similar about that, that I feel about things like Pete Rose not making it in the Hall of Fame or somebody not making it into the Pro Bowl. If this were a contest about who lives the cleanest lifestyle, then I don't think Amy Winehouse... should really win that award. Best role model? Right. Best role model. I don't think that Amy Winehouse should win that award. I would be very against that. In fact, if it happened, I would say, I don't know, guys, maybe we should take a closer look. But because a Grammy is an award that is given about musical achievement, even though she got Gary Coleman to sing the song, which I don't think is really fair. It's smart. It's smart. See, you can hear that's Gary Coleman. That's not a woman. That's certainly not a white woman. Very clear. But anyway, yeah, I feel like you have to award people based on the actual achievement. In fact, it seems silly to me. Like the whole conversation seems silly to me. The notion of her not being a very good role model to kids. Well, of course she's not a good role model. But the Grammys have never really been about being a role model.
And in terms of her actually being a role model, as a parent, a great conversation would be to when you see Amy Winehouse accepting the Grammy going, and to my lovely Blake, who's incarcerated. Right? When you see that happening, it might be a good time to look at your kid and go, what do you think of that? Yeah. And have a little how do you do about it. Yep, how do you do? Where are you on that, Eddie? I'm the exact same way. Like, I think that, you know, it doesn't take away from the music she made. She made amazing music and she should be rewarded for that. But, you know, I mean, she's a mess. That doesn't take away from what she did. Yeah. Sky, what do you think? Yeah. I mean, I get I get the sentiment that Natalie Cole is trying to put out there. And I think everybody feels that, you know. But at the same time, yeah, like you said, it's about the music. And she's not the first musician to be all whacked out on drugs and win awards. No kidding, man. This isn't the first time. No kidding. Yeah, I'm with you guys. Thank you to everyone at Island Records. My Blake. My Blake. To Ray Ray. Ray Ray. This year, Ray Ray and Joe. To Mark Ronson and Salama and me. To my mom and...
My Blake Incarcerated. The emails are still rolling in about this morning's secret crush. Oh, Ray Ray. Ray Ray. Ray Ray. Incarcerated. I'm Blake Incarcerated. That's his name, actually. That's his last name. I'd also like to thank Blake Incarcerated. He produced this record. Hey, guys, that was the best secret crush ever. I'm so happy for the both of them, especially Jenny, because she was super nervous and sounds like she got herself a great guy. It really got to me, and I'm all tearing up in my cubicle. Keep it up. Love you, P1 Peaches. Got an email here about Eddie and Boston Rob's next challenge. Oh, really? They're doing go-karts. They're going to race go-karts. And this one says, Go Eddie. Unfortunately, Rob's girl-like physique is going to be a huge advantage for him. Oh, that's a great point. Particularly his weight. Oh my, you're so...
Be careful not to make any bets you're not willing to pay up on. It'll take a lot of talent to overcome physics in this case. Good luck. Signed, P1 Eric. He's right. It's going to be tough. Yeah, he is right. He's like a jockey. He's a jockey. He's thinner than your average jockey. Which is going to make it even more humiliating when I beat you. That is true. Yeah. Sky, I win. What's up? Would you like to tell the class about what you did last night at 1 o'clock in the morning in terms of conversations with your husband? What? Well, I don't think that's there. Oh, I think. I think there's plenty of other things to discuss right now. I think that it's relevant. There's a lot going on in the news. I think that talking and communicating with your cats.
Because of their behavior and thinking that maybe your cats are communicating with you. What? Might be a fun story to kind of toss around here on the air. What? Well, the boo and I had a little difference of opinion at about one o'clock in the morning. You know, Logan, the baby of the family, the little one, if you will. Right. Sometimes he does this whining meow, but he'll just normally do it. And, you know, he's a little. special needs sometimes, I think, and so sometimes I think he gets lost, and that's why he's doing it. In the house? Because he doesn't know where he's at. Now, Skye, you've said this before. Now, do you actually think, or are you always just kidding when you say it, or do you believe that Logan might actually be brain damaged? Yeah, he's got the Huckabee eye going. He walks straight into coffee tables. I've never noticed the Huckabee eye. I've never seen that on him. He just has bad vision. yeah yeah he may just have bad vision but then he does this like whining meow sometimes and it kind of sounds like he's lost yeah and so you know in the house that we've lived in for quite a while and uh you know and so all we have to do is call his name well basically it's me i'll be like logan we're over here and then he'll like come on over and everything's fine you know all purr and all happy
Well, last night, or I should say this morning at about one o'clock, he was doing that whining meow like over and over. And so I just like sit up in bed and be like, Logan, we're over here. Keep doing it. Keep doing it. And this was going on for like a half hour. Where was he? Downstairs? Yeah, he was downstairs. You could hear that all the way downstairs? It woke both me and the boo out of sleep like multiple times. Skye, I don't know how you do it, man. I'm not kidding. They put up with... Skye has had her body ripped open. Yeah, several times. And we're not joking. Her husband's penis was actually... Oh, no. No, no, no. I'm saying this as a scientific thing. You know, I mean this clinically. Yes, it's true. Her husband's penis was sliced. Well, it was nicked, yes. Oh, nicked? It was nicked. Wow. um so yeah there's but anyways back to the story so yeah about one o'clock in the morning logan's doing his thing we keep trying to call him and be like we're over here we're over here but he keeps doing it and that's rare normally we call him once he stops he comes over everything's fine so this goes on for about a half hour and finally i turned my husband and i'm like have you seen tango which is our other cat and he's like no and i'm like i think something's wrong
I think Logan's trying to tell us that something's wrong with Tango. Oh, my God. And he's like, everybody. You have a cat whisperer? Yeah. Look at Sean. He's got his face in his hands. I can't. I can't. She's nuts. This is embarrassing. And the boo looks at me and he goes, everything's fine, babe. You've got to get up in two and a half hours. Go back to bed. And so I lay down for another second again with the meowing. And I'm like, okay, something's going on. And as the boo was trying to tell me. Stop tripping out. Don't get out of bed. I'm jumping out of bed. I'm running around. I find Logan and he's like looking at me. He's playing with some pencil on the floor and he's like, oh, hey, what's up? That's the one that was making the weird noise and he was playing with a pencil? Yeah. And so I go back upstairs. I'm like, oh, everything's fine. So I go back upstairs, but then I can't get back to sleep. And I'm still in my head going. something's wrong with tango you are an insane person so i get up i have to i have to turn all the lights on in the house to try and find your husband's trying to sleep
Do you have any consideration for that, man? And eventually I found Tango curled up in the guest room on the bed, taking a nice little snooze. So everything's fine, you guys. Were you even able to fall back to sleep yourself after all that happened? It was a little restless. I mean, when a loved one is in need, you know, it kind of... He wasn't? Well, I thought he was. It was a scare, Eddie. It was a scare. But everything's fine. Oh, my God. You're crazy. I am not. I got a big heart. A screw loose. The former. The former. It's definitely the former. What? Oh, my God. If you want to leave your loved one a message and hear it back tomorrow on the air on our show on Valentine's Day, you want to leave a sweet message for somebody you love, 858-715-1923. I was listening to the email there from P1 Brash, and I was thinking about... Well, here's what I think. I think that just because mommy had to cut you off early and switch you to formula, it's not the folks at Profiler's fault, is it? Why don't you give him a break? His anger is not about corporate greed, and he knows it. It's about his complexion. Oh, my God. What are you talking about? You don't even know what he looks like. I do, Eddie. Trust me. It's called Oxy, son, and it's cheap. That's not right. You don't know. Damn.
You like the penguins? Yeah. I heard that they ordered the blues in my size and the pinks in his, but, you know, we're rolling with it. It works. We're making it work. This is actually very constricting. I think it's a little too small, actually. Really? Oh. I thought you wanted to show your belly. I didn't mean for that. Oh. Oh, really? That's a fine look. I can't get the strings to tie. Oh. It's all right, Tim. So Christina Aguilera got asked to be in Playboy. She's very curvaceous these days. Have you seen any pictures, Mike? I'm not. She has recently given birth and is very curvaceous. She is Anna Nicole Smith now. I'm not kidding. Google images of Christina Aguilera now. She did an appearance. What was it? Best Buy.
late last week or something, and wow, she is... Well, what did she say to Playboy? She said, thank you, but no thank you. She said it's very flattering, but no, you know, especially now that she's a mother, she actually wants to tone down her image a lot because she doesn't want her child being embarrassed of her. Well, I think that's nice. Yeah, I think that's very responsible. That's refreshing. You don't hear that very often. Let's see, which one should we play to... Really show her voice off. Oh, here's a good one. Spot on. This would be the part where Paula had just this big smile on her face and is like kind of bobbing her head to it. And maybe at one point Paula even puts her hand up. Do you guys like when Paula...
has heard, you know, she's listened to enough, the voice is beautiful, and Paula does the thing where she puts her finger up like, perfect enough. That's perfect. Stop that. I personally love the over-the-head, open-handed clap with the fingers extended. You have to have the fingers flared out like that. Like you're a little baby reaching for something. That is my favorite. I turn to you. You turn. She gave Mariah Carey singing lessons, Christina Aguilera did, which I think is really cool. Clearly, more talented singers, so it makes sense. Well, she's just real good. I have a statement about American Idol. What is it? I don't like the audition process. The actual competition is a roller coaster. Some of them I like, some of them I don't. Hollywood Week is by far my favorite.
Really? Wow. By far my favorite. Why? I love that there's no goofiness about it. It's just straight, you're auditioning, you suck, you're good. Yeah. And, like, hopes and dreams dashed, people being excited. Like, that to me is what it should be all about. I love it. Well, speaking of Christina Aguilera and American Idol, this chick sang Beautiful by Christina last night. Her name's Brooke White, and they liked it. Cut one. I'm going to sing Beautiful. I am going to take a risk and I'm going to play it. Oh, this isn't what I thought. What is this, her own song? I don't know. See, this year they're switching it up. They're letting them play instruments. Yeah, it worked for like two people. The rest, they were like, what are you doing? Some dude played with the drums. Really? And they're like, um, huh? Cut to. Honestly, I'm being completely serious. It sounds like I just walked into like the...
Lo Alano room at the Maui Regents Hotel. I think that's what Simon said. And they're seating you and you're like going to order something with a pineapple on it. Yeah, it was terrible. I mean, unless you're Don Henley, don't sing when you're drumming. No kidding. Let's see. This is a guy doing everything I do. I'm going to assume that's Brian Adams. Yes, it is. Cut five. Gorgeous. What happened? Oh, I thought you said stop. Oh, no, I didn't. I was falling in love. I'd be happy to go back to it. Oh, please. I would like it if you would. No, Mike! No problem. Put this on CD for my fiance for Valentine's Day. Uh-oh. Oh, no, it's true. I do it for you. Let me tell you something. And now...
This part I am being serious about. Let me tell you something. Women enjoy men that make them laugh, okay? Now, I'm going to give you some advice, guys that are listening, and you can take my advice and use it and pretend that it was your idea. But we are going to podcast that, okay? And if I were you, I would take his performance and put it on a CD. And take a girl to like the Cliffs and OB and pretend it's kind of romantic and say, hey, listen, I got a little something that I want to tell you, but I think that I have a little CD here and I think the CD could say it a lot better than I could. And then move your head like you're really into it. Like...
It's the most beautiful thing you've ever heard. Eyes closed. Yes, eyes closed. And then, and if she starts to laugh or something, put your finger on her lips. Put your index finger on her lips and then just, and go. Now let me tell you something. If she does not fall in love with you, you don't want to know her. I'm telling you right now. Oh. If she don't fall in love with you, you don't want to leave her there. Leave her there. If she don't fall in love with you, I am. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That was the great Galeb Amaka. Surprisingly, he didn't make it. He did not make it. He didn't make it. It's really sad. Surprise. Let's see. This clip is called Celine Dion is Weird. Oh, I like it already. At a press conference in South Africa, Celine Dion talks about trading energy with her band members by touching thumbs. Dude. Nice. I can already tell that we're going to probably be using clips from this. Yeah. Until the end of time. I know. I haven't even heard it yet. Cut 22. We never know. Nobody knows what our future is holding for us. And so many crazy things are happening out there. But...
You have to live today fully like it's your last day. You have to live for today. But I am superstitious. I knock on wood. I love to share energies with my musicians. I love to touch their thumbs. Because I'm not performing alone. I don't do my life by myself and I don't do my career by myself. So all those people that bring the best out of me, we need each other. So I touch their thumbs. You give me your energy and I give you mine. And I have a lot of energies on it. So I touch the thumbs of a lot of people to share. And not so, so much. It's about little things like this. But one time I had found a coin many years ago. If I could tell you something here, okay? Because when we perform in the band, there are times where we are very close to each other. And so we do this thing before each show. Before we say au revoir to each other, where we put our botox, okay, our bottom, together, okay, and then we pass the gas, okay? No, you don't. That's really gross. Celine Dion. And in this way, it's a way to say, I love you. I love you, okay? And there are times where, yes, this is uncomfortable, no?
But yet there are other times where you say, I am so close to you. I'm so close to you. Where I can pass the gas and yet at the same time to feel your love transferred to me. That's not love. That's gross. It's weird. And my love to be transferred to you. I'm uncomfortable. Do you see this? No, no. Do you see my love? No. I smell your love. It is fragrant like a rose, right? No, opposite. Dead person. Sean likes watching. Oh, yeah. Whatever Sean likes sounds good to me. Whatever Sean likes, well, you know that it might be not as gay as something. Watch my Mikey when he's watching. You know he's standing up. This is Sean, baby.
Eddie, press your buttons against me. And in this way, I would pass my love on to you. I don't want your love. My love is shining for you. Oh, it is. Sean TV is interesting because Sean, our sound effects guy, he watches a lot of TV. Yeah, he watches literally TV. Yes, all of it. The entire thing. The whole deal. And then I pick and choose the absolute cream of the crop, Mike, to share with you and everyone else. I don't know. That's true. Sean likes a show called Banachek. Never heard of it. Super good. Sean likes Quincy. Oh, yeah. I remember growing up seeing Quincy on TV and being repelled by it. Sure. It was like kid repellent. Yeah. But Sean, he...
He was the guy, you know, if you ever wonder, I wonder who's watching that. Sean. Loved it. Well, I'm not the only one. And so what Sean does is he does this segment called Sean TV and he'll come on the air and he'll tell us all about a show that we didn't know about. Yep. Right, Sean? Yeah, Mike. Sean's rubbing his hands together like, let's do it. I'm so excited about this one. What is the show you're going to share with us today, Sean? Well, Mike, it's a show that you're probably familiar with, but you're not familiar enough. With it. Okay. What is it? I thought I would come strong this week and do one of my all-time favorites. What is it? It's a show called Columbo. Oh, dude. My grandpa doesn't even watch Columbo. Never seen one episode of it. Now, Ashley, you've heard of Columbo, right? You've never heard the name Columbo? I've never heard of that show. You've never heard the name, the TV show Columbo? Wow. Sean, this is like, you know.
This is like an experience that you can share with somebody then for the very first time. What would you tell somebody? How would you describe this? Columbo is a show about a homicide. Was a show. Yeah. Well, they still make episodes every now and then. What? No. They do? Yeah, they do. Where? ABC usually runs them. You mean with Peter Falk? Yeah. He's not dead? No. Oh, our bad. Well, you see, Ashley, Columbo was popular in the... 70s. 70s, 80s, 80s. So you're talking about like a rerun show? So Sean, what can you tell us about it? Well, I can tell you that Columbo is about a homicide investigator for the county of Los Angeles. He loves investigators. He loves medical insurance. He loves investigators. He's getting into it. And it's probably the best of the genre. And he works for the Los Angeles County. Department of Corrections. What do you like about Columbo, Sean? What is it about him that... The squirrely eye. I'll tell you what. The show Columbo itself is actually a groundbreaking show. How's that? Let him finish. Whereas a normal mystery will not reveal anything to you until the very end.
Columbo does the absolute reverse, where they actually show you the crime and who commits it before anything else happens. So before Columbo even... So what you're saying is that there's nothing to look forward to. That sounds really interesting. No, I'm not. No, I'm not. What I'm telling you is... That they give everything away before the show even begins. Think if M. Night Shyamalan did that with the Sixth Sense. Yeah, like, hey, guess what? He's not really dead. That would be terrible. Now, here's the movie. That would be terrible. Hey, everybody. Here's the plot twist. I'm sorry. Now, the show. No, what they do is they show you who commits the crime, and then the fun is watching Columbo circle around until he nails that person at the end of the show. And the clues that he finds in order to nail them. Is he walking in a circle because he got that squirrely eye?
He like keeps chasing his tail. That's a legitimate question, Sean. It is not a legitimate question. He's got the old Huckabee going on. You said it. I just got an instant message from Space Boy that says, I love the episode of Columbo where the guy is killed by a writer by being locked in an airtight safe. Yeah, that's a good one. And then he writes in all caps, so good. Oh, well. He likes it. It is a good one. It's not my favorite, but it is a good one. So what have you got for us today, Sean? The episode I have for you today is called An Exercise in Fatality. See, it's kind of a play on words. It's like an exercise in futility, but an exercise in fatality. This one I caught on the Biography Channel, but you can also catch them on A&E. There's a Biography Channel? What channel is that? The Biography Channel? Well, it depends. Are you on direct TV? Sean, you don't need to give me attitude. It's a simple question. It's just a question for crying out loud. Yeah, well, you know, there are about a hundred different cable providers. You don't need to yell at me either, dude. Yeah, why don't you chill back? I'm the only person supporting you right now. And Sean, why would Columbo be on the biography channel? I don't know. A&E owns the rights, so they put him on that sometimes. I'll yell at you too, Sky. I mean, what's on next order she wrote? Like, I don't get it.
Murder, She Wrote on the Comedy Network. On the History Channel. All right. Oh, she's on the Hallmark. Oh. What is the Hallmark Channel? What channel is that? Is it just like a channel of cards? What is it? Sorry, Sean. Come on, Sean. I want to hear scenes from the show. Well, I'm trying to talk about it. And, you know, everyone keeps interrupting me. Yeah, well, Sean, when I didn't interrupt you like a hundred times, bro. Wait a second. Do you want Paul Boy is on the line and wants to defend Sean? He loves Columbo. Thank you. Stop being a baby. Go ahead. Yeah. Yeah, I love Columbo. I got to tell you, like, maybe I don't always tune in or try to, like, catch it on the TV guide, but if I so much as see it, I'm sucked in for the rest of the show. He's the kind of guy that if he catches you, say I committed a murder, I kind of laugh about it and admit to it, like, right immediately. Wow. Sounds great. That sounds really good. So he'll admit to it and then the show goes on. Very realistic. Yeah, that's what happens in normal life. Well, when I get caught.
For murder. Yeah. I normally chuckle when the detective shows. It's practically reality TV. And then go, okay, you got me. All right, now, Sean. If Columbo were on my case. That's right. I'd laugh my butt off. I would never be on an episode. Okay, Columbo, I did it. You got me this time. Next time, I'll just get out of the way of your vision. I'll chop your good eye out. That's right. Okay, Sean, what up? Yeah, so what's up with this episode of futility? Oh, but no, Sean, now don't listen. Don't let Ashley get in your way. Yeah, we want to hear about the fertility episode. Yeah, tell us about an exercise in fertility. Who's he getting pregnant? It's called an exercise in senility. Oh, that makes sense. We're sorry. We're sorry. No, Sean. It's an exercise.
In Fatality. What's the episode about? It stars Robert Conrad as an exercise guru named Milo Janis. All I'm trying to do is just tell you about the show. Okay, so it's Milo Janis. And he owns a chain... I'm so sorry. Here's our ratings. No! That's not true. That's not true. I think it's the opposite. I think it's the opposite. You're right. You're right. I think it's the opposite. You're right. Why don't we just move on? No, Sean, stop it. Probably a good idea. I want to share this, but nobody wants to hear it. So why do I bother? Why do I bother? Sean, I want to hear it. Can we hear it? It stars Robert Conrad. As Janice Milo. Milo Janice, Mike. He owns a chain. He owns a chain of exercise places. That's right. You remember him as James T. West from the Wild Wild West, which is another great show. In this episode, there's also Pat Harrington. You remember him. He's Schneider from One Day at a Time. Oh, dude, I love Schneider. It also has Gretchen Corbett, who's been in everything from Marcus Welby to Kojak, Ironside, Rockford Finals. Sean, it's okay. You don't have to, you don't have to, you know.
Just the whole credits. Give us everything that they were on necessarily. And Philip Bruins, he was the original one of Seinfeld on Seinfeld. We got it. We got it. Before Barney Martin. Right. Oh, before Barney Martin. Yep. So in this particular episode... I know, but it's just we have to take a break. Well, listen, that sounded great. Columbo, catch it every weekday night on ABC. The biography. The biography. Maybe when we... The biography. At Mossy Nissan, our New Year's resolution is to drop a few pounds. Actually, a few hundred thousand pounds. Trying to be cute. Hit it.
Well, yeah, I mean, you can say KIOZ San Diego and then hit it, but the problem is that Sean is... Maybe if Columbo found it first and then hit it and then would reveal... He doesn't even have any idea. I would like to hear the Columbo clips. That's the thing. He's all upset. All we had to do was take a break, but we're back. We got inundated with phone calls and emails. Yeah. It's KIOZ San Diego is what I'm saying. KIOZ! Now he's happy. So, Sean... So, Sean, I want to hear the scene with Janice Dickinson from Columbo. America's Next Top Bottle. Yeah, it was, he said it was Peter Falk and Janice Dickinson in an episode of Columbo. I did not say that. I thought that's what you said. Really? I thought. Maury, his name was Maury Janice. No. Miles. Bruce Dickinson. Miles Janice. Miles McPherson. Miles.
Lobey. Janis Joplin. What was his name, Sean? Milo Janis, Mike. What does he do? Saying achy breaky heart. Yep. What does he do? He owns a chain of franchise health clubs. That's right. And what happened? Frogs? Like that. Oh, not frogs? No, no. So what happened? No, it was up in LA, so it was LA Fitness. Oh, oh. Let's just say it was, just for the sake of argument. Okay. And then what happened? Well, he was forcing all of the people that bought one of his franchises to purchase overpriced equipment. And he was taking that money and getting it out of the country illegally and not paying any taxes on it. One guy used to be a corporate controller and he tracked it all down. Right. So Milo went to the gym and killed him. Let's hear it. Let's hear it. No, I don't have that clip. Oh, that sounded great.
It would have been really good when that happened. I do have a clip. Their first altercation with regard to who died. Mrs. Stafford came down to headquarters this morning. She spoke to some of the fellows in the other division. What other division? Funko. Yes. A lot of wild accusations about you, about your operation. Of course, I can understand how Mrs. Stafford, and even Mr. Stafford... How they could get upset over some of the things that are going on around here. That's enough, Columbo. I'm tired of your accusations and your innuendos. If you have anything to say to me, you say it through my attorney. Is that clear? Yes, sir. Then be damn sure you know what you're talking about. That was really, really good. Yeah. Now, this is a cartoon? It's a claymation, Eddie. It's not a cartoon. But I heard him talk.
It's not Claymation. It's not any of that, you guys. It's just a TV show with Peter Falk in it. Well, Sean, is that the only clip that you have? So as a result, Mike, the wife of the man that was killed drank and ate a bunch of pills and was put into the hospital. She tried to kill herself, Mike. And so Columbo went there to check up on her. And who shows up but Milo Janis. Okay. Permit the fraud. I warned you in my office, don't you? I checked your alibi for the time before you got to the house. It doesn't wash. First of all, I don't need an alibi. And second,
Certainly I was at Parker Motors. You said they were closed when you got there. The fact is they've been open every night until 9 o'clock for the past month. Your health program didn't last very long, did it? You talking about my eye? Can you talk in a normal voice? Well, you know, Sean, that sounded pretty good. Wow. I'll take on anybody that didn't like that one. Sounds very 2008. It's not supposed to. Well, it's an old show, Ash. I mean, you know, the segment, Sean TV, is about Sean. Is this a deal to grandmas? I don't get it. Wow. Well, this is why you and Sean probably broke up. You know, the deal is that Sean shares with us. Not why we broke up. Sean shares with us. We broke up because he said I started to get too affectionate and close and stalkerish. No, we didn't. And then he put a restraining order on me, which is why he's still in San Francisco and I'm in San Diego. What?
If we're really going to be honest, you really want the truth. Well, were you stalking him? Yeah, I was. I didn't necessarily think it was a bad thing because we were in a relationship. We were not. So I didn't think it was weird to stalk someone I was in a relationship with. You don't think it's weird to stalk someone that you're in a relationship with? I didn't. But then he did think it was weird, put a restraining order on me, and I moved to SD. That's also a lie. Wow. And then that's why I changed my name to be on this show or else he never would have been on the show with me. But then I fooled him and that's why I changed my name. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. This wacky broad says she was in a relationship with this guy. Doesn't watch. Doesn't watch. She says he put a restraining order on her. She was stalking him. Sean has bad taste in everything. Wait a second. Hang on a minute. I thought we were just joking around, guys. Well, thank you, Sean. That was a delightful... That better not have been a shot of me, Eddie. It was a delightful segment of Sean TV. That TV show is called Columbo, and you can find it on the Lifetime Network any Monday. The Biography Network. It's on the O Network. It's on TLC. Network. So check it out.
Boston Rob's brother Big Al Kahuna is on the line right now. Big Al Kahuna. What are you doing? What are you doing? Well, not to be here because I'm on the phone, but I'm very excited. What are you doing? Well, I just updated my MySpace. Now I'm looking at pictures. No, I didn't mean literally. I meant, you know, what are you calling in about? I just want to talk to you guys. I'm a talking machine this morning. I mean, I'd be lying if I... This is the guy we talked to earlier, like 40 years earlier. What? I woke up this morning. I hope you all woke up this morning, did what I did. Give yourself a big hug. Look in the mirror. Say, I'm beautiful. I think I decided what I want to do with my life. I think I want to be a motivational speaker. Are you going to tell me that I fell out of a burrito? A burrito? I don't even know what that means, but you know what? If that means that... You're delicious? Then sure. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. Well, Al, if you want to be a motivational speaker, then you should follow your dream. You should become that. I know, right, dude? Yeah. Rob, did you leave the dog's meds out again? Did you drink coffee this morning? I think I should go home. Oh, my goodness.
He sounds like he's been shot with a blow dart. Full of uppers. Al, what are you up to? Are you just calling him to say hi? He's excited. I wanted to make sure you're all having a good day and take it easy on my brother. He is not a prostitute, okay? Why would you even say that? You know, he does a lot of degrading stuff. He's a strong man. That's true. That is true. That is true. I love the guy in Rob, by the way, while I'm on the line. Thank you. For my Christmas gift, these jeans, I swear, I just got back from the dog park. These jeans are going to get me so much action. It's a deal with the jeans. It's like I'm wearing running reflectors. I got him some really expensive designer jeans. At first, I was a little nihilistic and like... Those people with their fancy pants and $300 jeans. Greatest thing to ever grace my body. Well said. Who's been reading the thesaurus again? You know, at first I thought those jeans were nihilistic. Hey, I heard you got a good job. No, I can't talk. I'm not going to say anything. I'm just saying I heard you guys congratulate. What is it, with the CIA? I'm very excited.
happy. It's my passion. It's what I want to do. We're not allowed to talk about it? Give me a big hug right now. Just give me a hug through the phone. I will. I think I should really go home. Rob, how come we're not allowed to say? I'm going to go down to PB and go for a stroll because it's... Al, what are you on? He needs his stomach pumped. Al, you've got to call poison control. The thing is, I figured I'd rather call you guys instead of, you know, blog it, which is stupid because the internet has destroyed our... You know, you can balance it out by taking a bottle of... Uh-uh, not this morning, buddy. My voice will be heard. I'm going to stride out into the world and say, listen to me. All right, Al Kahuna. That's enough. No. All right, buddy. Well, when you can talk about your job, I want you to call it. I want to talk about it. It's a really interesting thing. Cool. Are we going to have weekly Al Kahuna segments? I'll give you a little spin on life. Yes, please. How old is Al Kahuna? He is 19. I'm 19 and a half. He's shot out of a can. 19 and a half, that's right.
I'm old enough where I can still say I'm 19 and a half. Wait, what are you saying? All right, thank you. Thank you, Big Al Kahuna. Thank you for your time, guys. I know it's a struggle to keep up. Thank you. Love you, Al. Love you, Al. Geez. Wow, Rob. Now, is his name Alex? Is his name Alfred Alexander? Alex. So, Alexander. The Great Alexander. Big Al Kahuna. Alexander the Great. What do you call him, Al? Yeah. Or Kahuna. He's been Big Al Kahuna for so many years now. How come he doesn't have a girlfriend? Playing the field. Is he really? He's a handsome kid. He looks just like Jay Moore, the movie star. Exactly. I tell him to play that card. Yeah, he should. You got to. All right. Well, what have we not mentioned? Actually, a lot. There's a lot we haven't mentioned. I want to hear Kevin Federline on One Tree Hill. Cut 23. Actually, my date took care of that. Well, we're halfway there, then. I hope you're not trying to sit on my lap. I'm just looking for someone to dance with. No thanks. Actually, I thought he was a better actor than the girl in the clip. I thought he was better than Peter Falk. Oh, no. Ouch. What do you mean by that there? Sean, that statement doesn't wash. Hilarious. More Kevin Federline, whose character is named Jason.
And in this clip, he gets punched in the face. No. No way. After insulting Mia and Jamie. Cut 24. Thank you, Jason. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been so good. You think you were good? The only reason people were clapping is I told them you were retarded. You're just upset because the talent left your band. Come on. I'm not as upset as I am that you left your granny panties in my bed. I'm worth it, Nathan. I'm worth it, Nathan. You left your granny panties in my bed. That's right. Know what I'm saying? Snap. I grew up in Fresno. Uh-huh. The south side. To the F to the R. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I'm white. You are? Yeah, I am. Oh, I didn't know. Damn, girl, can't you see that? Well, no, I can just hear. What do you hear? I hear a little affectation. Ask me a question, then. What? A question? Mm-hmm.
To the cuter to you. Guess I ain't lose blood. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, I have a question for Sean. Sean, are you there? Yeah. That was my stand-up routine. Hey, you know, you mentioned Banachek a long time ago. I grew up with Banachek. I really like that show, but you also mentioned Matt Helm at the time. And I've never heard Matt Helm mentioned by anyone. I thought I was the only one into Matt Helm. I was just wondering if you knew those videos were available. As far as I know, they are not. What the hell is he talking about? I don't know. I have no idea. Some code or something. Oh, man. Matt Wilhelm is a middle linebacker for the Chargers. Oh. Matt Wilhelm. It's pronounced Wilhelm. Yeah, Wilhelm. Matt. Wilhelm. Thank you for the call. Yes, number 54. Thank you. That's Stephen Cooper. Sean, you get the idea. What do you want, dude? One of my favorite shows of all time. Are you a hothead now? No, I'm not. Whatever. Do you guys want to hear more Columbo? No. I have more. No, thank you.
I have the spot from Milo Janis. Here's Michael Jackson making a statement about the 25th anniversary release of Thriller. That's what I'm talking about. Cut 25. It's hard to believe that 25 years ago, Chrissy Jones and I embarked on an album named Thriller. Today, the Thriller 25th anniversary CD hit stores and Michael issued this statement. To be able to say that Thriller still holds the record as the biggest selling album of all time is just mind-blowing. Who was that? The fact that my nose is still exactly as it was 32 years ago. No, it is not, Michael. Not really. Drastically it's changed. I've never had one plastic surgery. You're lying. I've never had one plastic surgery ever. Did you fall into a vat of acid? Yes. Okay. You did? That explains it. But the only surgery I've ever had.
was I had a hysterectomy. No, that's only for women. You had your uterus. That's not what happens in it. See, you don't even know. I got my tubes tied. You don't know what you're talking about. And you don't have tubes. I do. Where are they? Well, they used to be in my uterus before it was removed. In the uterus? That's interesting, Michael. You've never kissed a girl, have you? No, but no. Wait, what? But when I got my hysterectomy, my first husband, Len, said I'm not going to... So you're gay? No. No, silly. But you said you were married to a man. I was. You're a man. I'm a man. So we go... When I got married to my first husband, Len, he almost didn't marry me because of the hysterectomy. You're not making any sense, Michael Jackson. You guys are like children. No, if that were the case. Right? That would be awkward. So I said to him... So I said to him... Yeah, Len. I said to Len, what is the problem? Len, short for Lenny? Short for, no. Leonidas. Wait a second. Wouldn't you call him Leo?
No. I'm sorry, Michael. I'm sorry. Eddie, you're upsetting him. Eddie, you're upsetting him. I apologize. So he was upset because he said that he wanted to have kids, so I said maybe you can have it reversed. Reverse your tube tied? Yes. Untie your tubes? I'm lost. Yes, and so he did. He untied your tubes? Yes. He really lost. Huh. Which is a hysterectomy. Yes, and then my first son, Christina, was born. No, that's a girl's name. Your son's name is Blanket. My son's name is Blanket. And he was a gift to us. That you found, apparently. That's right. So anyway, after I ate my foot. You're being crazy right now. Stop it. That's weird. Cut 26. There is still much more to come from Michael Jackson. My passion for music has never stopped. And for those who don't know, I've been in the studio recording Thriller 25th Anniversary album with a lot of surprise guests. I'm also working on Brokeback Mountain 2. You are? Yes. The film that I'm starring in. Just by yourself? Yes. One-man show. I play a gay cowboy who falls in love with himself. That actually sounds pretty good.
It's not bad. It's directed by that Oriental guy that did the first one. Ang Lee? Yeah. Okay. Don't say Oriental. We don't use that. That's not a right terminology. Not PC. You know... What's that? VC. No, he's not. He's not that. No, that's not. He's Japanese. Anyway, he would never say cut. He would always say konnichiwa. That's my line. You're making up stories. Please. That means... Welcome. Right. But that's how he said cut. Oh, it's not. Yeah, I doubt that happened, Michael. And then I would put the cowboy hat back on and I would go. Yeah, you're not for that. I do believe that. Yeah. Oh, nice. Still got it. And he would say konnichiwa. Oh, no. And then I would pull ramen noodles out of my, um, out of my pan. Out of your what? Out of my pan pocket and I would, I would.
I would feed him like a goldfish. Like a goldfish? Ang Lee. Ang Lee, the director. That's kind of weird. How do you feed a goldfish? Mikey show. Hello. Uh-oh. Those ramen noodles are good. They're very high in sodium, though. That's why I like them. That's why they're so yummy. You're right. About that. Yeah, make you retain water, though. He used to own a slave, a white slave. Really? Oh. Huh? I bought her in Houston, and... she was allergic to salt, so I couldn't give her the regular sodium ramen noodles, so I'd have to get the kind that didn't have as many. And one time, one time, she was choking me. Why? Because I asked her to. Sounds about right. And about halfway through, it got to be so funny and hysterical because I was almost passing out. Weird.
And the only way I could get her to get off me was to throw salt in her face. Oh, my God. My white slave. Oh, wow. Mr. Fuji style. That's right. Ang Lee style. All right. Ang Lee style. Mikey Show. Hello. Wow. Hey, what's going on? This is P1 Felix. Hi, Felix. Hey, I love this new crush thing you guys got going on, but we need to get back to Cheaters Hotel. Oh, no. I love that, man. Yeah. We miss it. Yeah, let's do some breaking people. Yeah. You like to see people. Let's get in there. That's right. Let's get some people cheating on this thing again, man. Can you stop talking like that, please? That Chris stuff was fun, but let's get some people messed up. Whoa. Come on, make it far again. Do you guys know... What? ...that Samuel L. Jackson wears a wig? Huh?
No, come on. It's the truth. If you see him, that's what he says. He was on Regis and Kelly yesterday, and he said if you see him and he's got hair, that's the deal. Cut 31. I like your white hair in the film. Thank you. It's very good. Now, was that a wig or was that your hair? Always a wig. Always a wig. I'm follicly challenged, so. I have a great wig maker and a great hairdresser, so all the hair that you see in films, they're sort of responsible for. The best, though, isn't it liberating to just take it off at the end of the day? So here, have it washed and ready tomorrow. So you don't have to shave your hair? I shave my head, yes. You do? Mm-hmm. I have some hair that grows, so I shave that. It'll actually come in very white. Hmm. Who knew? STP is going to be performing at a festival in Ohio. So they're back. Or are they? Well, the only confirmed date is this festival, Rock the Range Festival in Ohio in May. So there it is. One confirmed tour date. Did you know that Nicolas Cage is suing Kathleen Turner? For what? For libel. For body heat. Skye, your thoughts on Kathleen Turner? Enjoy the movie she's in.
What is the deal? Why is Nicolas Cage suing her? Well, she recently released an autobiography called Send Yourself Roses. And in there, she says that Nicolas Cage was arrested twice for a DUI and for possibly have stolen a chihuahua. Where does that come from? I guess, you know, they were in that movie Peggy Sue Got Married Together, and she claims that that's stuff that happened during the filming of the movie, and he's saying that never happened, and he's suing her now. All right, here's some quick headlines. The writer's strike is over. Steven Spielberg said that he's quitting as an advisor to the Olympics because of Darfur. He's making a statement. John Mayer says that he wants a girl that doesn't need attention. I don't get it. I mean, I thought that that's what all your songs are about is how much you love giving them attention. That's what it seems like all of the lyrics of his songs are about. And then if that was the case, why does he date actresses? Yeah. That's all they're about is attention. Yeah. Yeah. His quote is, I want a woman who doesn't hear how are you as I would like you to come up with something dramatic now that will allow me to sit in front of you and give you more attention than I would if you just would have said no complaints.
Yeah. Let's see. You know the stabbing that happened at UTC out in front of the Nordstrom? They arrested some guy for it, right? Oh, really? Yeah. But he says, I was on the bus when it happened. I couldn't have done it. Yeah. So because of the woman's description of the attacker, they arrested this guy who was sitting at the bus stop out in front of UTC, who they say fit the description. And basically, according to his lawyer. The 911 call from the stabbing came in at 426, and the bus he took to arrive at UTC didn't arrive at UTC until 426. Yeah, and they say that this guy, his lawyer describes him as a quiet, humble Filipino man who goes to work every day, takes the bus to go home, and repeats the same schedule every single day. I bet he didn't do it. And his lawyer is speculating that sometimes it's hard for cross-racial identification because, you know, when you're in the heat of the moment and you're being attacked and you see someone of a certain race. Just asking Lee. And then you, it's kind of hard. So there was a flight from San Diego to Hawaii and they spread the measles on it.
Well, there was a baby infected with the measles on that flight. They, I guess, just thought it was a rash at the time that they took the flight on Saturday. So health officials want to find 250 people that were on this Hawaiian Airlines flight on Saturday out of Lindbergh Field. What's with the measles spreading everywhere? That's the deal. They're all over the place. Isn't there another measles out? It's the same. Yeah. Same. It's all, you know, it's all related. Same one? Yeah, it's like if you get a cold. I'll tell you what. We're going to sign off right now, and then I'll tell you all about it. I'll come in with a little diagram. I'll explain it to you. I'm not really that. 570-1053 is our phone number beginning and end of every show. We do an open phone segment. Yeah, we'll break it down, Ash. I'm going to teach you all about how this measles thing is going crazy. My eyes is going crazy. I got me shot. No, no, no. You'll like it. I'm going to break it down.
570-1053. Give us a call beginning and end of every show. We do an open phone segment. Don't forget, if you want, you can wish your loved one a happy Valentine's Day. Say loving things. 858-715-1923. And then listen back on the air tomorrow morning on Valentine's Day. And maybe on the Mikey Show, you'll hear your message. It'll be real sweet. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey, I just wanted to ask you guys if you guys had ever seen a movie called Iron Eagle. Of course. Louis Gossett Jr.? Come on. Yeah, I was just wondering because Sean's always talking about all these really weird movies. I don't know anybody else who's seen it. What? That's a huge movie. Come on. Now, I'm sure Sean owns Iron Eagle. No doubt. And Bobby Iron Eagle, too. It would not surprise me. Thank you for the call. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey, this is P1 Palais. You guys had selected me for the M-Tube. I'm the Catch a Mikey Show listener. Oh, cool. I just want to thank you guys for picking me. Dude, did you do the impression of Chris Hansen? That was my friend. He is funny, man. That impression is pretty good. Yeah, he did a great job. He did. Good luck, man. Yeah, good luck. Thank you, guys. You got it. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, this is Mikey? Yep. Hey, what's up, man? It's the P1 Big Show. What's up, dude? Hey, man, I was wondering if...
I haven't heard of Beto in the studio for a while. What's he doing now? He was in the studio today. About an hour ago. He was in the studio today, and he just left to go get a milkshake. Oh, man, I missed it. Well, that's what he said. That's what he said he was doing. Tell him I want to hear more from him. Tell him to hang out more. I will do that. All right. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Mikey Show. Last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey. It's P1 Rob. What's up? I've been in Santa Barbara the past year and a half and haven't been able to listen to you guys except online. And I just wanted to say that I'm really glad to be back at San Diego and be able to listen to you guys every morning on my way to school. Woo! That's awesome, dude. Thank you. All right. Lovely and Talented Missy is coming up next. Today on the Nooner, it's the All Request Lunch. It's going to be great. You call in. You make the request. She'll play it. And why don't we try to make an appointment with each other right now, or we'll meet back up here tomorrow morning at about 5.30 a.m. We'll do a half an hour of best of, and then at 6 o'clock, we'll start this thing up. We'll see you tomorrow morning. Mikey shows up.
