Sports analyst Eddie broke down the Chargers’ franchise tag on Darren Sproles (P21), while later segments covered the Michael Jackson auction (P115), the chimp attack story (P127), the California budget deal (P96) and a lively Disney top‑five ranking (P166), showcasing the show’s mix of listener interaction, celebrity news and topical commentary.

So if you want to text us, load us into your address book so that you always have us and that you can always text us. Textmikey at gmail.com. Who would have thought it was going to be that easy to get this thing back going? Let's see. P1 Tube Scoops is on the line. Hi, Tube Scoops. That's two scoops, Mikey. Two scoops. All of you. What's up? I just wanted to tell you I was inspired by how often you talk about Pamplemuth. I took my wife there over Valentine's weekend and just realized as soon as we walked in the door that I was in way over my head. What do you mean? I mean, that was like a five-star restaurant, man. I walked out of there spending, it was about $160 with the tab. Yeah, it's not a hamburger joint. I hope I didn't give the impression that it was fast food. Yeah, I was going to get the Grand Slam there. No, no, no. I went there and I was looking for the drive-thru window and I just kept screaming at each other. That will not do. Who's going to take my order? Yeah, it's probably not going to be. I was thinking that it was on the same lines as like a...
Black Angus or something. An Outback. An Outback or a Black Angus. That would have been good. It was great service. It was a nice place. You know what? The atmosphere in there has kicked back. It doesn't feel like you're... That's what I like about it because it's a five-star meal, but you're chill. You're not all stuffy. It's not stuffy at all. You don't have to wear a suit and tie. You go in there in jeans and just a pullover. I mean, there's paintings of pigs on the wall. Right. And a biker dude, a fat biker dude. So, you know, it's not like all stuffy in there or anything, but it's a nice place and it's a... Yeah, you get what you pay for. You know what I mean? Yeah. Well, I guess I'll just wait until I make my first million before I go back there. Oh, get out of here. Police. Two words for you. Police. You know, when you go there, you go there on a special occasion. For sure. You know, it's a special occasion type of restaurant. Right. What did you get? Hey, sorry you're so upset, dude. I can hear your upsetness. Did you enjoy the food? We decided to split the Kobe beef hamburger, and then we got a ribeye on the side. Can you guys hear me? Yeah. Yeah, can you hear us? I'm sorry. You guys were so quiet. Let me talk all the time. Yeah, so the waiter, you know, he offered us.
The special appetizers that they had was this grilled cheese, and it had lobster in it. And, you know, it sounded great, and he described it to us. And so we were like, yeah, let's get it. And when we got the tab, man, that cost us like 50 bucks. He tells you right up front, it's called the $50 grilled cheese. That's what it's called. No way. Yeah, it's called the $50 grilled cheese because it's got... Lobster in it. And when we took Craig Gass to the restaurant, he said, can I get it without the lobster? I don't want lobster. And I don't want $50. I don't want $50. And they said, yeah, sure. Now, let me ask you a question. Oh, that's too much. What did you think of that sandwich? It was delicious. It's the best thing ever. I didn't know about the best thing ever, but it was pretty good. You are a complainer, sir. You are a complaining man. I'm glad I got to experience it, Mike. Thanks. Thank you. Thanks, Mike. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. Buy your own damn front. That's President Obama.
You. He should try this little joint. It's a, you know, kind of hole in the wall place called Donovan's. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mom and pop. Yeah. Get the soup or something. Warm me up. Ask for the fresh water. Yes. It's delicious. Yeah, great price. Speaking of Obama. Oh, man. Sky, explain the story because I've only kind of heard it, but apparently the New York Post ran some. Oh, man. cartoon that's race people think it's racist or something well so two stories you need to go know up front going into this is that uh president obama signed into law the stimulus package which of course you know has its supporters and its critics whether it's going to work help our economy so that was a big thing this week and also another big thing this week is there was this 200 pound pet chimpanzee that attacked someone and like put this person in the hospital in critical condition and went crazy and ended up being shot and killed Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Saying that a monkey's writing the stimulus bill. Yes. And so, you know, which, you know, maybe wouldn't be so insulting if it was a white president. But since this is our first African-American president and there's a history of, you know, racist remarks comparing African-Americans to chimps. The African-American community is upset by this, and Al Sharpton is leading a demonstration outside the New York Post offices this morning. Well, yeah. I mean, he's got to have something to do. Yeah. You know what I mean? Al is just – I mean, basically, Al sits in his velvet workout suit by the phone in his red or maroon-colored velvet tracksuit. Chartreuse. Chartreuse tracksuit. That says juicy on the butt. He's like that. And he also has like 40 TV monitors all around his office monitoring what every white person does. Yes, that is correct.
Yeah, so the Washington Post says that this cartoon is meant to mock Washington's effort to revive the economy and has nothing to do with race or wanting the president dead or anything like that. I didn't take it like that. I took it like a bunch of monkeys are running the show. And, you know, that's even a monkey can do it. Yeah. Well, it's guy. Anything. If you if you go, do you mean, no, I'm not buying that. I think that they're calling him a monkey like a racist. No, I don't believe that was their intention. But if I was the editor and had that cartoon put in front of my desk for approval, I would say, you know what? This can be interpreted the wrong way. And I don't think we should do this. If you would have caught it. I mean, I don't know that I would even have caught it. I would. My head wouldn't have gone there. Yeah. It really wouldn't. Because I actually didn't equate the monkey as Obama. I'm equating the monkey as, like, the goofballs in Washington. Did Obama write the stimulus package himself? No, he didn't. And you know what, dude, Eddie? I'll bet you that the New York Post will release a statement, and that's probably exactly what they're going to say they did. And it's probably what they did. It's the truth, I would think. You know what I mean? Because, like, that's just ridiculous to think that.
somebody in this day and age would get away with that. Well, that the New York Post is going to say, we're going to call our president a monkey. Who's the most beloved president of all time. I mean, come on. I don't know. I'm not seeing that. P1 Caesar. Hey, how you guys doing? Good. First time caller, man. I love you guys' show. Awesome, brother. I'm a little nervous, but I'll get to the point. How is that considered racist if I remember when the Internet had videos and pictures making fun of George Bush and comparing him to a monkey? Yeah. And no one ever said that's racist. Yeah. Well, but that's different. That's because he's a white man. He's a white man. Well, that's kind of making African-Americans seem more like if you're treating them more like children. Well, I mean, they can't take a joke or they're automatically going to think it's racist. And people shouldn't jump to the conclusion. Yeah, they're making fun that people in Washington, just like, you know, it's being run by a bunch of monkeys, you know, by a bunch of morons that attack anyone, basically, maybe. But I don't see it as racist. Well, and I mean, just to kind of get on your point, I kind of agree with you. And I think to myself, you do a disservice to.
to the cause if you're Al Sharpton and you make a big deal out of this. In fact, I think if Al Sharpton really wants to advance the black agenda, movement, for a change, he comes out and says, what are you guys, little kids? This is ridiculous. I think we're a little beyond this. I have to, I check myself. Should I say African-American or should I say black? Yeah. Even that. We're conditioned. Yeah. Whenever we're going to actually have a talk and have a true dialogue with everyone and finally speak to each other as human beings instead of seeing you as a black person or you as a Mexican or you as a white guy, you know, automatically we are conditioned to see the white guy and say, oh, that guy's a racist. I've never had a black person say to me, it's really offensive when you call me black. I haven't had it happen. In fact, most black dudes that I know think it's kind of silly and go, you know, you don't have to say African-American, but you can say black. It's cool. We're cool. Yeah. I'm not offended. If you're not trying to be offensive, then they're not going to take offense, usually. Yeah. I agree. Hey, Cesar, appreciate the phone call, dude. P1 Smitty. What's up, dude? Hey, I just wanted to comment on the whole racist newspaper. Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
Well, when President Bush was in office, they would come out with all sorts of cartoons with him being a monkey or him being this and that. And I just wanted to comment saying I think it's kind of hypocritical for everybody else to say it's racist. I mean, I understand that. Go ahead, Skye. Well, I'm just saying, like, I don't know if people realize there's a history of, you know, comparing African-Americans to monkeys, apes, gorillas as a racist thing. Which I understand, and I think that would be completely offensive. That's why that specific animal is a hot button. But what my point is with this particular cartoon is I don't think the monkey represented Obama. That's where I have the issue. They specifically state in the cartoon, I was looking at it yesterday, and it says someone else is going to have to write the stimulus package. So all those people that wrote the stimulus package, did Obama write any of it? No. But it's just one monkey. You know what I mean? It's a representation. If it was a group of monkeys. But it's a cartoon, though, you know? Well, yeah. But again, if it would have come across my desk, it would have raised a red flag. It's kind of brilliant when you think about it, right? I mean, look.
I mean, maybe they knew. Maybe they knew. Maybe they knew they had a great defense, and maybe they knew it would cause a lot of stir, and maybe they knew it would sell a lot of copies. Yeah, now I'm getting the New York Times at my house. Well, it's the post that lost out then because they're the ones that did it. Oh, man, bad advertising. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Okay, that's a weird angle. P1, Instant Classic is a black man and would like to give his opinion on this. Go ahead, Instant Classic. Uh, yeah. How you doing, Mike? Good, bro. All right. Um, I just wanted to just, if I could, you know, I don't want people to get on into an uproar over this. There's only 11 people that read the, 11 black people that read the New York Times anyway. New York Post. New York Post. Same thing. Only 11, 10 to 11 people read them anyway. 10 to 11. an African-American might feel by seeing that cartoon portraying a monkey as a president. Me, myself, you know, I'm kind of desensitized to racism and, you know, things of that nature. So it's not a big thing to me. But there are some people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who wait for, this is ridiculous, but they wait for opportunities like this to exploit the situation. But wait a second, instant classic. What about the whole thing, you know, like Eddie was saying,
This isn't even about Obama. This is about lawmakers. A bunch of white lawmakers. Exactly. But that's what I'm saying. Any small... No, no. You were saying that... No, no, no. Let's be clear. You were saying... The opposite. You were saying that it was Obama. Well, I think it's up to interpretation who they're depicting. Yeah. Because if you think of the stimulus bill, to me, Obama represents that. Now, if you get technical about it, it's a whole group of lawmakers who actually went into writing that. But they don't. Obama being the president is the largest figure in the world right now. Nobody's going to look at what the issue really is. They're going to see, OK, this is about Obama. And the average person is going to automatically assume. But I didn't. I didn't. As soon as this guy said what the thing was, I never even for a second thought they were trying to represent Obama. And to me, it kind of was. I mean, you're the Oracle. That's a great point. You are an instant classic. That's right. Hey, P1Blade text messaged us at our new text message. If you want to text us, text Mikey at gmail.com. Text Mikey at gmail.com.
Text Mikey at Gmail dot com says, I believe that now we have a now that we have a black president, we become overly sensitized to anything remotely racy or that sounds racist. Who knows? It's only been five minutes, but who knows? Maybe that's the truth. Maybe we're all just a bad thing that we're. Well, I think so. I'll tell you why you're overboard on anything. I think is a little overly sensitive to something. Yeah, I'll tell you why I think it's a bad thing. Because I think we've been oversensitive. I think as a country, we're just a little, I mean, it's 2009. Yeah. And I feel like for the majority of my lifetime, we've been very reactive. And if you really want to undo racism in America, quit making such a big deal about it. Now, these comments upset somebody like P1 David, who's on the line, who's a black guy, and he's offended. Are you there, David? Hey, Mikey. I'm very offended at what you're saying right now because you have not walked in my shoes. Why do I, let me ask you this question, let me ask you, why do I need to be black in order to understand the concept of racism? No, you don't have to be black, but what I'm saying, for this particular instance right here, you've never been called because of the color of your skin a monkey. And no president has been under more scrutiny than this president we have right now.
How do you respond then, David, to the point that Eddie brought up, which I agree with, by the way, which is that they're not calling President Obama a monkey. In fact, they're calling lawmakers in Washington monkeys for coming up with a stimulus package. That's an escape. That's all that is. That's just undermining this. That's all that is. That's an escape. When I see the cartoon and when I first heard about it, the first thing popped in my mind. was calling my president a monkey. And I think that you can make a fair argument that that is very convenient. Somebody, wait a minute, but somebody, not of my ethnicity, they are going to say, oh, no, it's all about the lawmakers. It's all about, no, no, I agree with Scott. If it would have been a group of monkeys, I can understand that. Okay, well, then let's... We're talking about the leader of this country. The leader of the free world. Are you kidding? This country, the most powerful leader in the world. The most powerful man in the world. No other president has ever been on a microscope like he has. Sure you can have my number, baby. And this cartoon, although they may have meant it one way, when you look at it as an African-American or a person who's been down under the thumbnails and finally we feel like...
we've gotten a break, and we feel like the racism stuff has been beaten. You come up with something like this. All right, David. It's ridiculous. Now, hang on. I got a question, though. So what happens when we go out to a party with some sisters, huh? That's a good question. Now, wait a minute. Now, I got a question for you. I got a question for you, David. Okay. In order for what you're saying to be true, because we have differing opinions. I am of the opinion, and Eddie was of the opinion, That this comic strip of the monkey was meant to depict lawmakers and not Obama. You believe, you believe that it was depicting Obama, correct? No, no, no. If I'm looking at it, okay, I don't believe. Now, honestly, honestly, I do not believe that the Washington Post was that stupid to say this is going to be or this monkey represents President Obama. I'm saying, as I'm looking at it as a reader of the Washington Post, and I see that picture. New York Post. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. New York Post. And I'm looking at it as an African-American, as one of your readers, one of your people who buys paper. And I'm looking at it, the first thing pops in my mind is the fact that back in our days of quote-unquote oppression, we were called monkeys. Okay? Okay.
As I'm looking at it like that, the first thing that comes to my mind is that's a racist cartoon. Okay. Okay. Now, let me articulate your point as I understand it. It's like going to an expensive restaurant, and you order a meal, and it comes back on your plate, and it looks like slop. You go to another restaurant, and you order that same meal, and the plate is beautiful. But I ordered it at this expensive restaurant where it was $100 a plate. And I'm getting here at $30 a plate, and it's the same thing, but it looks different. I'm going to try to help you out here, David, and you tell me if this fits. Okay. It sounds to me like you feel that this is just a disguise. That what it really is is genuine racism, but that the New York Post knows that they have an out. And the out is to say, ah, we weren't talking about the president. We were talking about lawmakers. Exactly. And so you feel that it's just a clever way. Exactly. It's just a clever way, sort of a passive aggressive way of not really saying it, but saying it. Right. A passive aggressive way at taking a shot. Right. All right. Now they're just going to sell papers and they're going to get some publicity. Yep. And like you said, they're going to come out with a statement saying, this is what we meant. But as an African-American looking at it.
See, I'm from the South, and I heard all the terms. See what I'm saying? And when I look at it, the first thing that pops in my mind is he calling President Obama a monkey. I'm not taking it as the lawmaker, because it's just one dead monkey, or one monkey that's shot in that picture. Yep. All right. Hey, listen, David, I get it. I get where you're coming from. I don't agree, but... But I can see, I can definitely see the logic in your argument. You know, I'm not necessarily living there, but I respect that you do and that that's where you are. I think we can agree to disagree. That's right. All right, bro. All right. Love you, dude. We'll see you. This text message says, Mikey, if you want racism to end, then we have to have political cartoons that portray our president now.
The way we are portrayed, the way that we portrayed our old president, isn't that equality? Hey, I have a question for you. Why are we upset that a monkey is depicting our white president? I'm going to ask you one more time. Why are we upset that a monkey is depicting our white president? Supposing that this monkey is depicting the president of the United States, you realize the president of the United States is white. He's just as white as he is black. No, he's not. Really? He is half white, I give you that, but society does not view him that way. If he is walking down the street, no one is going to say, there goes a white man, because we perceive things visually, and we're looking at a black man. I totally get what you're saying, but let's just talk about, because I know that you're pretty good at saying, what are the facts? Yeah, the facts are he is half and half, but... Society perceives him as a black man because he looks like a black man. Just as much a white guy as he is a black guy? Not in society's eyes. Okay. On a piece of paper, yes. Okay. But not in the world we live in every day. Piece of paper? I mean, his mom is black. Yeah, his mom is white. His dad is black. Correct. So, I mean, what are you going to do? We got our 42nd white president and our first black president.
All wrapped in one handsome package. I do agree with that point. You know what I'm saying? That's a good point. Good looking black dude. It's the only point I'm trying to make. Sure you can have my number baby. I'm not asking dude. Easy. I am. Alright. I'm just saying. If he's sharing it. Stop it. He is not sharing it. He did not offer. Well maybe he did offer. Sure you can have my number baby. Alright. We got NASCAR tickets later in the show we're going to be giving away. Oh, that's so white and racist. I know. I know it. But what are you going to do, you know? It is. It is very white and very racist. On a day like today, Mikey. I know it. Oh, jeez. I know it. I know. Of all days. And you can text us again. And our text number is textmikey at gmail.com. Okay. Let's talk a little bit about what we have on the show. Okay. First of all. In the sports dirt today, the Chargers have placed the franchise tag. We won't tell you on who. Who is it? Think of the big names. Who is it? What does that mean? Eddie, quickly on the franchise tag. A franchise tag means, and specifically this is a non-exclusive franchise tag, which means whoever they place this tag on, they can negotiate with any other team.
But the Chargers have the right to match that offer, and if that person signs with another team, the Chargers receive two first-round draft picks. Eddie, fair to say that when you place a franchise tag on a player, that player means a lot to you. Yeah, it means a lot to you, and it probably means he's going to return to that team. Who have they placed the franchise tag on? Who? It's coming up in the sports dirt. Dan Fouts. Oh, Eddie, I don't know that that's a deal. That would be good. I would like that. Something that we do on the show. Tough love with Eddie. It's for you, Scott. Might Michael Jackson be making a stop by our studios? Michael Jackson? That's right. The Michael Jackson. Whoa! Great topics on the show today. How would you fill this sentence in? Yeah, Mikey, they thought I was dead when... Can you talk about what celebrities you have issues with? The tribute song that Skye did to herself called My Back is on Fire. Hey, San Diego County has a new median home price. Is it going to surprise you or what? What do you think? What are you guys thinking? What's the new median home price? It's the Mikey Show. The world famous Mikey Show. 053. Letters from toddlers.
I get a lot of letters from toddlers, and toddlers send me stuff. I try to answer them the best I can. You know, a lot of people ain't got a good moral person no more. So I figured I could be their guidance along the way. Dear Larry, my name's Eugene. I'm four years old. My friends call me Oogie. Why do farts stink? My mom calls them toots. Do you think farts are bad? Love, Oogie. Dear Oogie, the funny name, farting toddler. Fart stinks so deaf folks can also have a big belly laugh. If you want to do a funny joke, go up to somebody somewhere and say, did you fart? I smell Vaseline. Just don't tell them I said to do that. If you tell anybody, I'll kill Santa Claus. I love the Mikey show. You know what? You guys are awesome. Thank you, brother.

Still looking pretty good in our freeways out here this morning. We do have a little bit of traffic developing, though, out of Escondido now in the South 15, coming off the 78th down to Via Rancho Parkway. Still fine, though, past the other Lake Hodges down the rest of that stretch. No worries out of the East County. South Bay is moving right along. Winds are still a bit blowing, though, in the mountains and deserts, so be careful if you're driving a high-profile vehicle through Julian and along IE through Alpine and Crestwood. Highway advisory is affected in those areas. Border waits about an hour still at San Isidro. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is always difficult to hear, and being denied access to cancer care can oftentimes mean the difference between life and death. But there is one national nonprofit organization working to make sure those who need care can access it, Patient Advocate Foundation, otherwise known as PAF. Here in California, PAF has joined forces with Amgen and their Breakaway from Cancer initiative to support the Amgen Tour of California bicycle race. Underway now through Sunday to help raise awareness to support the free programs and services provided by life-saving organizations like the Patient Advocate Foundation. This event is one of cycling's most important and exciting road races in the U.S. as the world's best cyclists, including Lance Armstrong, come together to race through some of California's toughest terrain. So join the Patient Advocate Foundation at the finish line in Escondido this Sunday.
The race will be followed by health screenings, family activities, and great food. So bring the whole family. For details, visit patientadvocate.org or call 800-532-5274. Now, back to Mikey. When I was a kid, no supervision. I just, I wasn't supervised and I was free to watch whatever I wanted. Eddie. Yes, Mike, I have a gambling problem. No. Sky. Now, with what's up in your world. This is the Mikey Show 360. Mikey Show 360 is what's happening in your world. It's all the hot stuff. It's the stuff people are talking about. And in case you haven't heard, text messages are back. You can text messages again. Just text us at textmikey at gmail.com. Textmikey at gmail.com. Anybody's cell phone can text to an email address. And that's it. Textmikey at gmail.com. Some of the text messages we're getting right now.
Mikey, if it's supposed to be the president that we're looking at, why is everyone overlooking the more serious offense of a comic depicting a presidential assassination by public servants? In this case, cops. That's P1 Jeff. This text says, Mikey, would blacks be less offended if they found out that the author of the cartoon was black? Really? P1 Paparazzi. That's an interesting point. That's very interesting. Is that a fact or is that just a question? It's a question. It's kind of like the Miley Cyrus deal. With a Miley Cyrus deal. It made, you know, to some of us, it made a difference that Miley Cyrus was taking a picture where she's doing Asian eyes with her Asian friend. To some people, it didn't. Eddie thought it was offensive, you know, no matter what. So would it make a difference if the author of the cartoon or the artist in the cartoon was black? This one says, Mikey, very good point. Obama's only half black. We should only be half upset. Okay. That is a weird comment. This text says, thanks so much, Sky, for representing black people. That's P1 Logistics.
Mikey? You're welcome. It's just my feelings. There you go. Mikey, what if we had a Mexican president in the cartoon depicted a chihuahua instead of a monkey? Would you understand then that's P1 Butterfly? No, Butterfly, I wouldn't. And the reason that I wouldn't is because we don't say when a bunch of people can't get it right that they're a bunch of chihuahuas. Yeah. But when a bunch of people can't get it right, we say that they are a bunch of monkeys. I say that all the time. Now, if people did say that they were a bunch of chihuahuas and we weren't getting stuff right and then they depicted our president as a chihuahua, no. And he was Mexican? No. I don't think I would if that were a big saying. But I can also understand where P1 David was coming from where he's saying you at least have to be sensitive of the fact that our president is black and that for blacks... Being called a monkey is something that we have history with and it stings. Sure, absolutely. And if that's what the comic was depicting, absolutely. They have a great point and, you know, that would have been horrible. But I really truly believe that's not what the comic was depicting. And so, you know, it's almost, to me, sad that we're even equating the two. You know, that kind of sucks. Yeah. Before we went to break, I said that the San Diego...
San Diego County home prices for a median house. Sky, what is it? I don't want to. $1 million. We're back. We are back in action. Equity is back. Nice. Great news. Awesome. Yeah, but all their lips are blue in the water, Skye. You're telling me this, but I'm looking at the water. Everything's fine. Everything's fine. And he says it's fine. No, come on. They all look like they're dead. All in frigid Atlantic waters. And he says it's fine, Mike. Yeah, January 2009, the overall median home price in San Diego County is... $280,000. Oh, no. Wait. Oh, man.
That is down $20,000 from December of 2008, which was $300,000. And that's off about $150,000 from January of last year. So that's about a 35% drop in one year. I'm about $275,000 away from being able to afford a home. There you go, Rodney. So close. So home sales are up again. The number of homes that are selling. keep rising. They're up about 35% from last year. The sales are up. They say about 55% of all those sales were foreclosures. So it's really those low-cost foreclosures that are moving, but since they're so cheap, it's just dropping our median home price. No, thank you. I refuse it. $300,000. Yeah, lowest price in seven years. There's a condo being sold in my condo conversion complex that is $100,000 less than I paid for my condo. Are you serious? Isn't that heartbreaking? That's how my condo was. And I mean, I just bought it. I just bought my condo. It'll be two years this June. And I'm just like, oh. Obama has a plan. He was talking about it yesterday. We will make it possible for an estimated $4 to $5 million currently.
ineligible homeowners who received their mortgages to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac to refinance their mortgages at a lower rate. Now, he has a little caveat that goes along with that. But I want to be very clear about what this plan will not do. It will not rescue the unscrupulous or irresponsible by throwing good taxpayer money after bad loans. Buy your own damn fries. I don't think that was part of the press conference. I usually do buy my own fries. Well, fine. He's yelling it at you. So what that is that Obama was talking about yesterday was a $75 billion housing plan. And it's going to work in a couple of ways. Like he was talking about there, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac right now or, you know, before this was put into effect yesterday. If you owed more on your home than your home is actually currently worth, they couldn't help you. It's like too bad. Sorry, suckers. You know, that's your bad, which is understandable because that's bad business, you know. But in where we're at now, so many people are what they call underwater on their homes that this now removes.
Who's not, by the way? Like, is there anyone that isn't? People who bought their homes, you know, anywhere, you know, early 90s and on and before that. Yeah, they're doing OK. But the rest of us. So, yeah, so Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac can now help people rework their mortgages to get a lower price, even if they are underwater on their home. The only people that are doing good right now are like. Vanilla eyes. Yes. Blossom. Yes. Dude, they are loving it. Blossom is the happiest chick on the block. Great homeowner. Absolutely. Clarissa explains it all. That's right. There it is. See? She's doing great. I know what you're talking about. Thank you. You got it. It would also create incentives for lenders to want to work with people to modify their loans if they're facing default or foreclosure. And it would require that their payment be no more than 31% of their income. That's it.
So that they say would help probably about 4 million homeowners could benefit from that. And then also they have something in place to try and keep mortgage rates low. So people who are trying to buy homes and get new mortgages and refinance, you know, they'll be able to do that. Fingers crossed, everyone. Congratulations, everyone. We're all really in a great mood. We're out of it. We're out of it. It's all over. P1 Worthless. Oh, his phone got turned off right when he was waiting to talk to us. They turned his phone off. That's the economy. So worthless. It's the economy for you. You can, if you want to, text message us again at textmikey at gmail.com. Which is really cool. That's a sign the economy's turning around. It is. It means that things are getting better and we've opened up a free email account. Yes. That's huge. Text Mikey at gmail.com and you can get your opinion in here about anything you want. Mikey, why do people get up in arms about a joke, racist or not? If white people get mad about a cracker joke, they get laughed at or told to get over it.
But if it's a joke about black people, it's offensive. Why is that? The American people need to get over it. This is a joke. And that's it. That's P1 Weidman. I'll tell you why. Thank you, Mike. Tell him why. Well, the reason why is because white folks haven't been oppressed the way that black folks have in this country. Figure it out. And in 1969, it wasn't white folks that were getting sprayed with fire hoses. And it wasn't white folks that were having to. Stand in the back of the line or ride in the back of the bus or not be able to go to schools that they wanted to go to. So that's why that that is the answer. And the answer is real clear. Personally, I feel that as a nation, we need to get over it. I really do. I think we have a black president in this country. It is very, very possible for people to do well. The answer to it, I think, almost in every circumstance is. Getting smart in almost education in almost every circumstance or somehow educating yourself. Because the truth is, is that I didn't go to college, but I read a lot and I invested into my brain. I invested into my to my learning and I wanted to learn. I used to take the dictionary. I honestly used to take the dictionary and read it. I wanted to know words, wanted to know what they meant.
I think it's a good thing to try to make yourself a little, get your little beans up there jumping around. I did not mean that, by the way. I didn't mean it as a racist comment against myself. Because I am Hispanic and that was not what I was going for. I do not appreciate that. It wasn't what I meant. This is a state of emergency. You know that there is a very, very big band that's talking about giving away a free live album? So sick! It is not too soon. Too soon. Too soon. Come on, Sean. That was Sean's new age band in high school, but he got fired, so that joke might be too soon. Yeah, there's a pretty big band, a huge band, an A-list band that's talking about giving away a free live album. And when we come back, I'll tell you who it is, and also the sports third. Eddie, we got stuff to talk about, right? Yep. Oh, my. Oh, my. The Chargers have placed the franchise tag on a player.

I love Frog's Fitness. I love working out at Frog's Fitness, and it is the perfect gym. I didn't go yesterday. And it's one of those deals where I'm like, oh, man, I wish I would have. And I was even talking to you yesterday about how excited I was to get back. I just wasn't there. Yesterday, my voice was shot while we were on the air, and I'm still trying to recover from the deal that happened to me on Monday when I was out. But I'm back, and I will be in there today, and I'll be seeing my trainer, Wendy. And I'm telling you, Frogs Encinitas, it's a really great club.
If you're looking for a place to work out, what are you looking for when you want a gym? What are the things that are important to you when you go to a gym? Is it that they're clean? Is it that you're not going to catch a cold while you're in there? Because for me, that was kind of a big deal because I have the whole germy thing. And so they got on the walls all throughout Frogs Fitness, they've got the little dispensers that you can get the antibacterial going. And they got great machines, state of the art. They got screens on the TVs. So you can plug your headphones in. You can listen to your iPod through the machines. It's a really, really great place. Frogs Fitness. You should check them out online, too. FrogsFit.com. Back to... Right arm is almost completely sleeved. Eddie. I don't like sports that are judged. Sky. I'm not a big fan of combining foods. Like, you know, like... Combinding? Yeah. Boston Rock. You know me. I love a good tattoo. And Ashley. I don't like to waste food. Old school. Sky, what is the band that's saying that they are... Maybe giving away a free live album. Coldplay. Oh, look at that. Let's all calm down because we know that Chris Martin of Coldplay kind of makes these big statements sometimes and then starts to backtrack and whatever.
A while ago, we talked about how he had talked about how the band was like, this was going to be their last album. And then a week later said, oh, this was just going to be our last album for a couple months or something stupid like that. So in regards to this free live album that he says he would love to give to the fans as a thank you, he knows the economy is bad, and he would love to give this as a gift. Whatever. I'd rather have a trickster album. No, come on. Well, then he goes on to say that they're trying to work out. the details it's tricky in terms of record contracts and stuff like that and then further goes on to say he knows that concert tickets are really expensive and they're touring this summer so maybe what he'll do is when you walk in the venue to one of their concerts that's where you'll get the album really so now it's turned into we're giving away a free album to you'll get an album if you buy our concert ticket maybe Yeah, I don't like that. So we'll see what actually happens with that. Eddie and I could not disagree more about Coldplay. He hates them. I think they're brilliant. Hold on a minute. Take it down. I like that Viva La Voda song. That's Satriani's song. It's the one song I like, and it's not even theirs. See? This is the only song I like in this. Yeah, I like this one, too. Because it sounds different. The rest of their stuff all sounds exactly the same. Which I don't... You agree with it. I kind of agree with it.
I kind of agree with it. I think, okay, let me give you this. All their slow stuff sounds the same. All their fast stuff sounds the same. It's just I like that note. I happen to like it. You know what I mean? I don't like that one. That fits you. Don't like it. Shiver. Shiver's great. What's that? This one. Yes. Good song. Oh, it's so cold. Oh, yeah, that's a good one. Gives me the man shakes. The man shakes? The what? Why wouldn't? The what? And who could forget clocks? Oh, that's not what I wanted. That is not what I wanted. It is not what I wanted. What about Yellow? You like Yellow? That one song. I had to give it to you. The slow ones do sound like that. You're good. You're good. You make happy sounds in my ears. Every once in a while, I get in a Coldplay mood. Yeah, I feel you. Yeah. Sky, what's the last mood you got into with music in your car? OAR. Yeah? Yeah. OAR. Or? Or.
Of a revolution. Of a revolution, yes. Eddie, what about you? I'm pretty good. You get into a mood where you- I don't listen to music. You don't? I don't listen to music. I listen to sports talk. Whoa. And I can't tell you the last time I listened to- Like a CD? A CD. Wow. Somebody just turned me on to a band called 10th Avenue North. Love them. Oh, yeah. You know that band? 10th Avenue frees out. Yeah. That's not- Super Bowl. The Super Bowl. You did that at the Super Bowl. That was a good one. Yeah. That's a good one, Mike. Eddie, you used to have the, you used to get into the Nirvana mood every once in a while, the acoustic one. Uh-huh. I can't tell you last time. I just don't listen to music that much anymore. You don't do it? Uh-uh. Okay, so there's that. And then, okay, I got to hear this. Now. Let's do this. Now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. While we were mentioning it, the Chargers placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on one of their big players. Well. Big is a relative term. It is little man Darren Sproles. How about that? Wow. Okay, I like it. Okay. Nice. That basically means that the Chargers have the right to match any offer that Darren Sproles gets in the free agency market. And if he decides to sign elsewhere, the Chargers will receive two first-round draft picks in return. Awesome. Which means he's not going anywhere. Awesome. But I also think that means that...
he's going to be overpaid quite a bit, I feel, in my opinion. Because when you're franchise tagged, you have to make the average of the top five players of your position. Dang. So he's going to be paid of the top five running backs in the NFL. Wow. So he's going to make about $6 million. Eddie, I have a theory. I have a theory. He's not an every down back. He doesn't deserve it. I have a theory on this. I think if AJ is going to pay him top five running back money, they're going to find a way to make him more involved and be a bigger weapon than he is. Otherwise, they're just wasting money. Yeah. You know, it's a weird situation right now with LT. You know, they're trying to, you know, figure out what they're going to do with him. And with Darren Sprouls now, you know, they're going to give him all this money. I mean, they're investing quite a bit of money. Yeah, we got a text message that wanted to ask the Oracle. Why is it that the Chargers have not signed LT yet? That's P1 Kenneth. LT is signed. He's under contract. What they want to do is restructure his contract. And that's what they're trying to do, or they're going to release him. But all signs are pointing to them restructuring the deal to make him more of a cap-friendly number. So LT should be back. Darren Sproul should be back.
You know, it's both great news. It's just kind of interesting how they're going about it. But if you're saying that LT should be back, are you saying he would need to take a pay cut to come back? Yes. Which he said he would do, right? Yeah, he's willing to do. And so, you know, that should heat up in the next few weeks. Hey, listen, Charger fans, you know, at the start of the 09 season, you should have a healthy LT. Yeah. A healthy... Antonio Gates. A healthy Phillip Rivers. A healthy Sean Merriman. Maybe a whole bunch of new tricks added to the offense and defense. I am super excited. And every time that ball goes in 43's hands, I get all wiry. I do, man. Every time they throw the ball to Darren Sproles or he gets it, I'm like... He is a lightning. Bolt. Literally. He is so awesome. He adds a whole dimension to the offense that they've never had before. He's a great piece to the puzzle, but he's just a piece to the puzzle. He's not the entire puzzle like some people are suggesting. That's where I get a little irritated. I know you guys are wanting it. The Daily A-Rod Report. Everybody wants it. What kind of drugs did he do yesterday? He didn't do any drugs yesterday.
They did say Major League Baseball wants to question A-Rod about his admitting use of steroids. Really? And they're going to throw a little investigation his way. Really? Which, I mean, what are they going to do? Well, I mean, yeah. What are you going to find? He's already admitted it, and it was... Stare boys weren't banned from baseball. If you're going to investigate A-Rod, you're going to have to investigate a whole lot of other people. Are you going to suspend his cousin too? Speaking of his cousin, his cousin has been identified. Are you kidding? He has been identified. Who is it? Is it Vinny? Is it Mark McGuire? It is not Mark McGuire. I'm sure you guys will recognize his name. Yuri Sukkart. Yuri Sukkart. Uh, no. Wasn't he in that movie where, um, wasn't he in the movie of the Russian gangster where he does the naked roundhouse that Sean always used at Eastern Promise? No, that's Viggo Mortensen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a star at Eastern Promise. Wow, I haven't seen that movie yet. I do think he's that comedian.
That is from Russia. It says, what a country. I think that's who it is. And here this whole time I thought he was Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's daughter. Me too. Now I'm confused. No. Yuri Sakari. Is everybody happy now that we know who his cousin is? I'm extremely happy. Is he the composer that used to make me cry at 12 years old? That's rock modern. That's right. That's right. Your favorite. That's right. We also had Derek Jeter. Do we know who Yuri Sarkhananov is? It's A-Rod's cousin. That's it. That's it? But he's not like a ball player. He's nothing famous. It'd be like seeing your cousin. Yeah. Well, your cousin isn't, you know, somebody that we should know. It's just his cousin. Marcos Trujillo. There you go. That's your cousin. Yes, my cousin. Very impressive. That's right. All right. So Derek Jeter addressed the A-Rod situation yesterday. I know everybody wants to know what old Derek Jeter has to say as A-Rod's best friend. First and foremost, I don't condone anything he did. He doesn't condone anything he did. No, he understands that it is a mistake.
He's trying to get past that mistake. And, you know, as teammates, we're going to help him out. You know, realize it's going to be difficult. You know, our job is to try to support him as he tries to get back on the field and, you know, get ready for his season. But he made a mistake. That's the bottom line. He admitted to his mistake. I mean, I know there's going to be people out there saying this, saying that. But he came out, he admitted to what he did, and now it's time to move on. Eddie, what do you think? You know, because you know the history there. You don't really get along. Right. And so did that go far enough in offering support? I guess. You know, I mean, I didn't like how he started the statement off with, hey, listen, I don't condone anything this guy did. You're like, wow, okay. Hey, listen, I don't even know that guy. Hey, listen, I never shot that stuff up. So I don't know. I'm ready for the A-Rod stuff to go away. I'm over it. I'm done. Even though you know that Yuri Sarkarakov is his cousin? That was huge news. Oh, Brandon. Oh, Brandon got his service cut off because of Obama's tax plan. It's really, really sad. It's really sad to see it happen. Okay, some of the stuff that they're talking about out there today.
a surveillance operation in Claremont. Turned out that they got into this pursuit that ended up with a car crash in Linda Vista, right, Skye? Rob. Yeah. Rob, can you just stop? Will you just grow up, Rob? What else am I going to do when I leave here? Come on. Good point. Yeah, so I guess there was a task force watching this dude in Claremont, but they won't say, like, why they were watching him, like, what was going on. And so about 1.30 at a house in South Claremont, this dude that they were watching leaves and gets into a stolen car with somebody else. The jig is up. And so immediately they're like, okay, this guy's in a stolen car. We got something concrete right there. So they call in a marked car to come after him. And as soon as the dude spots the marked car, a chase starts from Claremont, leads into Linda Vista. They put out a spike strip. The car avoids a spike strip. And then the car ends up crashing into an empty school bus right by a preschool. So one of the dudes jumps out. It was empty? Yeah, luckily it was empty. One of the dudes jumps out and hides in the empty school bus.
please. That's the smartest thing in the world to do. And then the other dude takes off over to that T. Leo's right there. Oh, dude, it's delicious. So good. That's weird. And then another dude, the other dude takes off and runs through the preschool. So the preschool's immediately like put on lockdown. Police are everywhere. Eventually, both guys were captured and taken into custody. Wow. Yeah. Guess he could have gone across the street to Carl's Jr. How do you know where every location? You really do know the area. Well, you could have headed down the street to Lamps Plus. Okay, now you're just showing up. Now you're just showing up. It's right there. Tell me if this stuff kind of creeps you guys out, but does it ever creep you out when you hear that there are certain areas that are turning up more incidences of a particular type of cancer? Oh. What? Dude, that trips me out. Aaron Brockovich, ever seen it? Hello. There's an unusually high cancer rate at a building. At UCSD. We've got some slow traffic on the 805 northbound coming up a little bit towards the National City. East County traffic's moving well, and the South 5 is also looking good down the shoreline. I'm Rick Lawrence on Walk 105.3. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? I love Wookiees. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. What is this? Rob, do you know what is this? Back. Coughing soul. Love that. Something like that. Love back. Yeah. Back. It's great. It's really good back. Where it's at. Okay. Two turntables and a microphone. Eddie. Eddie. That's a different song. That's exactly what it is. Welcome back.
718, and there is an unusually high cancer rate at UCSD, at a particular building. Skye, what is it? It's the literature building. Literature building? Building you read stuff in with your eyeballs. Wow. Library. Literature. Literature. It was in the literature building. Literature. Literature. Literature. Literature. It appears it was in the literature. Department. Literature. Will you stop it?
Sky, why do they know? Do they have any idea? You guys are nuts. You're the best. Okay, let's be serious. This is serious. Come on, come on. Okay, so they say that there have been at least eight cases of breast cancer involving people who work in that building since 2000. Now that's about... Four to five times the state's average of getting breast cancer. Wow. Yeah. So an investigation has been started to see what the problem is and if they can figure out what is causing the cancer. Asbestos. If there's any connection. So while the investigation is being conducted, they have shut down both elevators in the building that they say are the suspected sources of EMFs. which are the electromagnetic fields. Oh, wow. Also, yeah, that's what ghosts, when those are. Oh, my gosh. Rob. When those are. Well, he watches A&E. He watches A&E. It's just on mystery diagnosis. Listen, that's what they look for. Paranormal state. Yeah, paranormal state, ghost hunters, ghost adventures. Yeah, they talk about those EMTs all the time out there. EMS, man, they have detectives. Yeah, they sing. Unbelievable. Oh.
Sky? Yes. So, okay. I got this one over here and I got this one right here and I don't know which is like the most current. I don't know what. The one that's stapled. The one that's stapled. The stapled one, yes. This guy can go away. Recycle. Get it out of here. Get it out of here. Thank you. Let's see. Our text. If you would like to text us, we would love to hear from you via text message. And not all text messages can be read. We just don't have the time to read them all. But we have texts back again. And what it is, is you just load us into your cell phone. Text Mikey at Gmail dot com. Text Gmail. She is so cool. What was that? Gmail. Anybody. Anybody want to. Anybody want to help me out with what that was? I don't know. It's like the hip way to say it. It's like the hip new way to say it, right? It's trying to get the kids involved. Oh, I get it. You guys are just hanging me out to dry like I'm an idiot. Gmail. Gmail. That's the worst. Text Mike at gmail.com. Tough love. Is that right?
Yes. It is. For the kids. Yeah, the kids. That's for the kids, dude. That's great. That's for classy. Down into like nine syllables. Classic. Classic. Tough love with Eddie. He deserves it. I'll tell you why. I do. He knows he's about to help some people. I'm excited. Help hurt feelings. No, no, no, no. Now, Skye, you look at it that way. Feel feelings. Yeah, that's right. Oh, no, no, no, no. Wait, which one is it? She gets her H's confused. Okay. You heard her try to pronounce. Let me tell you what tough love is. Eddie shoots from the hip. He is a very straightforward person. He's a guy's guy, and he shoots from the hip. And so he is not going to coddle you. No. Well, you don't want that. No. It's garbage. Sometimes I do, yes. No. Yes, actually, I do. Well, sometimes, Skye, you got to have a little hurt to come with the healing. Yeah. Well. Okay. You know, when they stitch you up.
It kind of hurts, but it heals the wound. No, they give you anesthesia first. No, no, no, no. Who needs that? So it doesn't hurt. Come on. 2009, bro. Here, I'll show you, Skye. No, okay. Our first letter reads, Dear Eddie, I need your help, man. I really like this girl, but she is way out of my league. My buddy met her, and he thinks she likes me. I told him there is no way she is too hot. clearly hotter than you, to go out with you. I would give anything for her to like me. I just don't know what to do. Any tips? That's P1. I will do anything. Okay. Eddie? Dear Homeland Insecurity. Hang on a second. Let me wipe off some of this desperation off my t-shirt. It's all over me. You got it all right there. Holy cow, dude.
You still have some. I do. It's right there. You got it on me. It's everywhere. Okay, bro. Get up off your knees and act like a man. Yes. I'm guessing this is the first human you've ever met with breasts, but take it easy. Here's tip number one. Stop being you. That was great advice. Seriously, you got to stop being you. Girls like guys with confidence, not shaky little chihuahuas like you. Come on, kid. You got to be a pit bull. You got to lock onto her arm and don't let go for nothing until somebody shoots you off. That's what you got to do. Here's tip number two. Start acting like B-Rob. All right. Interesting. No. I don't know what you meant. I don't understand. I'm sorry. Seriously, saying you'll do anything. for her makes me feel like I need a shower. What you gotta do is it sounds like she may already like you. Pretend not to care as much and she's gonna come running. Now Rob got more women by acting like a turd than you ever will by acting like Michael J. Fox after an earthquake. You know what I'm saying? Enough of that. Here's what you wanna do. And you gotta pay attention to this. This is key. You gotta say one of my favorite lines. You walk up to her and you go...
Hey, sweetie. You think I'm cute? Wink. Okay. You understand? Let me explain that again. You walk up to her. You go, hey, sweetie. You think I'm cute? Wink. The wink is key. But don't say the wink. She's going to be cutting in your hands. That is horrible. You're welcome. That is horrible. That is so horrible. What's up? Think I'm cute? Wink. You're going to be like, oh, yeah. That's right. Yes, sir. Yes. Yes, sir, I do. Thank you. You got women all figured out. Did that not work back in the day? Could you please write a book? I really should. That'd be the only chapter. Did you say that? That's one page. That's a pamphlet. Do you think I'm cute? Wink. Easy. Girls are like, oh, my God. You know what it is? Will you stop saying that? Sky, it's like a grenade. It'll hit you about three today. You'll be like, oh, he's hot.
Yes, I do think you're kidding. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Give me some of that. Oh, my gosh, Eddie. Our second letter. Seconds, please. Stop it. We're moving on. We can go on. Yes. Our second letter reads. Oh, my gosh. Oh, man. Hey, Eddie, I need some help. Oh, okay. My boyfriend is always checking out the girls with the big booties. Oh, yeah. I myself have a flat behind. Oh. I have tried to work out and make it bigger, but it doesn't grow. I would like to have one of those bubble butts. But it's just not going to happen. Do you have any advice on what I can do to make my boyfriend like what I got? That's P1 Sarah in Ramona. Eddie? Dear Slumdog Derriere. You got some of that J-Lo envy. It's understandable. First of all, I commend you that this letter isn't about your boyfriend looking at other chicks' rears because I don't know what I would say to that. I don't have an answer to that. But you want the bigger posterior, so there are a few things you can do. Number one, you can sit on a beehive. Wow. Are you kidding me? No one would do that. No one would ever do that. You'll need an EpiPen. I think that's a good advice. No. How about having a friend kick you in the rump for an hour straight? Yes.
Hello. I'm for hire. Well, the sad fact is you're probably never going to get cast in a P. Diddy video. So some gals just don't have the rump shaker. That's right. So you got to use what you got. Hopefully God didn't punish you completely and gave you some boobs. So you can wave those puppies around in your boyfriend's face. It's tough love. Well, if he doesn't like that, you can either dump him or go see Dr. Tush. and get a butt implant. There's a Dr. Tush. Dr. Tush, yes. Dr. Tush. That's not a real doctor. He's actually running a buy one cheek, get the other one half off. That is not true. Good luck with that. That's quite a deal. Tell him I sent you. You don't have any legitimate advice. It's basically the point. I just told you. It's basically the point. You don't know Dr. Tush? No, I don't. Dr. Tush. Dr. Tush. Please, please some decorum. Our final letter rates. Oh, gosh. This is the worst. Oh, yeah. Our final letter rates. Eddie, dude, what's up? Big fan of the show. I want to get your opinion on something I did. I am not really a farter. Whenever you guys talk about farts, it usually makes me squirm and I never fart in front of my girlfriends. I never have and never will. At least not on purpose. See, that's why I'm writing. I've been seeing this girl named Sabrina for about a month. We were on our way home from dinner a few weeks ago.
and I accidentally farted. I was really embarrassed, and she didn't say anything, and my reaction to it was so stupid. I turned up the radio and cranked the music up. I didn't know what else to do. It was so weird because the station was playing 80s music, and the song was Bang Your Head by Quiet Riot. Now every time I hear that song, I will think of this. That's not awkward. It says it was so awkward and so uncomfortable, and my question is, do I bring it up and make a joke out of it or just keep it awkward like it is now and say nothing? Signed, Pete and Del Mar. Eddie? Dear, the fart of rock and roll is still beating. And from what I've smelled, this one's meaty.
Your girlfriend, Sabrina, is still breathing. Yeah. Wow. But the fart of rock and roll. Yes. Fart of rock and roll is still squeaking. Okay. Okay. You don't have to do the whole song. In your boxers. Hey. Hey. All right. Yeah, dude. It sounds like we got ourselves a case of the old air panther out on the prowl. Okay. Who calls it that? She stalks the night with those smelly eyes. Ew. and embarrassing fangs. She's a cold mistress, the Air Panther. She stalks her prey inside the Mazda Miatas and Honda Preludes throughout town. Once her victim thinks the coast is clear, the Air Panther pounces like the thief in your shorts. The Air Panther devours her helpless gal's pretty little nostrils like a smelly gazelle chomping away.
At any thought that you are a normal dude. Gulping down any chance you ever had of making out. Permanently making you into a diaper-wearing Drakkar. Oh, no! That's right, dude. The Air Panther takes no prisoners. I've heard of it. And plays no favorites. That's right. It's deadly. The only thing worse is the Turdacuda. No! This is a rare and deadly predator. Oh! That accidentally presents itself in open waters. Oh, wow. Occasionally. When you're drunk. Okay. In the pool. At your friend Tim's house about six years ago. But listen, that is neither here nor there, Mike. The point is, beware, bro. Beware. It's pine tree scent. Thank you. And you're welcome. Well done, sir.
Well done, sir. You are welcome. All the bad. Yes. Yes. Oh, wait. Oh, that was cool. Oh, that was the worst. Skies? Skies? Yes, enjoy. Can you hear it coming up Tierra Santa Boulevard? No. It's the sound of healing. You're welcome, Cynthia. To let you guys know how much I really appreciate your show. I try to catch every minute. It's the best. Thank you, ma'am. We appreciate it. Yeah, well. Those chicks are hot. Yeah. Those girls are all hot. One of them lost an arm. No, no, Mike. That's the drummer. That was very sad. That is the drummer for the band. P1 Jason, you there? Yeah. Go ahead. The hottest video of all time is call on me with all the jazzized chicks. Yeah, it is. Go nuts on that one. That's the best one. That's right.
I think you're thinking about when you were 12 years old. That was great. All right. A good guess. We're giving the sexiest female videos ever. Guesses on the sexiest female video. Anything by Annie Lennox. Hello. So hot. What about those Hanson sisters? Yeah, those girls were gorgeous. Dude, Katie Lang. What about that? No, this is a female. Eddie, this is female videos. Sexiest female videos. Not that dude pink? No. He's not on there? All right. Sky, give me another one. Well, there's only one left. You're only missing number three. You got the rest of them. Some by Fergie. Rob? Yes. Rob didn't think Fergie's sexy. No. London Bridges. That's not even funny. That's not even funny. There's no Mariah Carey. No. No Gwen Stefani. No Fergie. Wait, what did I say before, Sky? Jewel. TLC. You were meant for me. Jewel. Fergie, my house. Now, I don't know if you guys are going to get this one. Oh. It's a little obscure. Wu-Tang Clan. Wait. We'll take that. Jamie Presley on Cribs. Whitney Houston. Crack his whack. P1 George. Are you there? Yeah. What's your guess? Dirty by Christina Aguilera. The number one. We already mentioned that one. Yeah, that was the number one. That was number one. P1 Chris. Hello. Yeah, go ahead. What's your guess? I kissed a girl, Katy Perry. Katy Perry. Oh, yeah. What up? No. Not on the list. Got to give it a few years, bro. That Alanis Morissette video where she's naked.
Oh, wow, Eddie. I don't know about that one. I don't know that people thought that was sexy. That was a little bit more of a sighting. That was a sighting. P1 Third Day fan. Hey, what's up, guys? What do you think? It's obviously that one by American Idol's Sarah Long. Oh, yeah. She was really good. Okay. Got it. She's really good. Is that on there? No. Got it. All right, Skye, what is it? Okay, well, I'm watching it right now because I've never seen it before, and it's Kylie Minogue spinning around, and it's sexy. Really? Yeah. That's the name of the song? Spinning around, yeah. YouTube it. She's in these little booty shorts. She's got this lighting behind her. She's crawling on a bar. Kylie Minogue. Kylie Minogue. Love Kylie. Yeah. She's really good. I've never even heard of it. She's like Kylie Cyrus, man. You've never heard of Kylie Minogue? I've heard of her. I haven't heard of that song. Oh, yeah. Do we have that song? I don't know. I don't even know what it sounds like. All I know is that the lists have really been irritating. Yeah, Skye, your lists have been bad. Not her fault. They don't make sense, man. Skye, you're really making me mad. Talk to MSN Music. Don't talk to me. What's the name of the song again? Spinning Around. We don't have it.
You spin me right round, baby, right round. Like a record, baby, right round, round, round. Yeah, I don't think that's the same song. I would guess that's not the same song. When I was real nerdy, I was probably like a young 20s. Kylie Minogue had a big song called Locomotion. I used to fantasize she was my girlfriend. I was working at a Chinese restaurant at the time. You worked in a Chinese restaurant? About four days. Really? Four days in Tucson, and then I quit. What were you doing in the Chinese restaurant? Washing dishes. Yeah, that's right. I didn't know that. Yep. I would eat lunch with the help. You know, they'd shut the restaurant down. I'd eat lunch with the help. Well, you were the help. What are you talking about? You'd eat lunch with the help. The rest of the help. But I say that because they excluded me. You know, because I was not Asian. Oh. Oh, yeah. And so, you know, I was an outsider. Right. So I would eat with them, but I was not eating with them. So I would just sit there in my head and fantasize Kylie Minogue was my girlfriend. Everybody's doing a brownie. I think we have it. Let's see. Let's see if we have it. Was that her? Yeah. I didn't know that. Well, yeah, but I didn't know that. Just imagine my little fat mullet wearing head imagining this video. Everybody's doing a brownie. She's making a good girlfriend. Oh, dude. I think so.
And everybody would be jealous. Well, of course. I was dating Kylie Minogue. I felt that way about Susanna Hoffman. You did? Yeah, I'm not kidding. You wanted her to be your boyfriend? I wanted her to be her boyfriend. You wanted her to be her boyfriend? Her boyfriend? Oh, yeah. During what era? What song? Well, it had to be like the walking... Close your eyes. Give me your hand, darling. Do you feel my heart beating? I don't feel as sexy anymore. This song, right? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Imagine that's your girlfriend. I'm in it. I'm in that. She's singing this to me. Come on. Rob, who? Oh, I know with you. Who? Michelle Branch. Oh, easily. You fantasize that she's your girlfriend, right? Oh, Mariah Carey. That'd be sweet. I can't believe we're admitting this. I can't believe we're admitting that. She's too uptight. Yeah, she would not make a good girlfriend. You do not picture Michelle Branch then? No, no, no. Jordan Knight. Wait.
You pictured that Jordan Knight was your girlfriend, Eddie? No, Rob did. Oh, Rob. Give me the song, Rob. What Michelle Branch song do you imagine? Can you read them to me? Breathe. Are you happy now? Everywhere. Everywhere. This is your Michelle Branch girlfriend? Yeah, dude. She's like all knocked up and with a 40-year-old dude. I have another one, I'll admit to you. Vanessa Carlton. I imagined that Vanessa Carlton was my girlfriend. That was later. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Look at you. Yeah, yeah. I'm being honest. Cheating on Kylie Minogue. Dude, that didn't last long. Kylie Minogue didn't last long. I broke up with her. Linda Carlisle? Yeah, I did. I moved on to Belinda Carlisle. Oh, yeah. Wow. Let's see if I can find her. Joe from Facts of Life. Come on, we all had a Joe from Facts of Life stage. There was a phase. Come on, we all had it, fellas. It was a short phase, though.
Yeah, I've fantasized that, you know, she's so sweet. And she would call me from her cell phone, text me that she was missing me. Vanessa Carlton. Nice, nice. I would imagine that. Of course. Rob, did you do that with anybody else besides Michelle Branch? Not the texting thing. No, okay, fine then. I'm a psychopath. You're obviously a crazy person. I'm definitely dangerous. You have some issues. Yeah, definitely on an FBI list somewhere. Should be at least definitely on an FBI list. And you should be arrested. Oh, my God. Do you, oh, I want to know. I'm so uncomfortable. Sky, Ashley, do you guys, is there any boyfriend, like, oh, man, I wish that was my guy kind of deal? Yeah, I had two. Joey. I had two as well. Yeah, one was Kirk Cameron, and then I moved on. Mike Seaver? Yes. That song is true? What song? I was a little girl. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I put the lyrics, hot as Mike Seaver. She really did. I mean, I was a little girl at the time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're weird, Sky.
It's a safe place, you guys. No, that is awesome. That is awesome. I'm happy for you. Thank you. You're happy for me. And then who else? And then Joey from New Kids on the Block. Ash. Joey was... First, I was Leonardo DiCaprio, Sweet Leo, my friend. Now, now, now. Yeah, it's amazing how that was. It's cool that you're just friends now. Met him one time. But back when I was 12, I would listen to My Heart Will Go On, back when Titanic was real popular, and I would listen to that song in, like, complete temptation. Did you pretend you were at the top of the boat? Yeah, like, I was kidding. It was Leo from Titanic, that movie Titanic? It was that version? And he was a good boyfriend? Yeah, he's fantastic. And then... And then I moved on to Justin Timberlake, This I Promise You, and I'd hear that song. And it was like he was singing it to you, right? Like he was your boyfriend. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man, me too. That's so weird. There was a fire in a celebrity's apartment in New York City, and it affected another celebrity. And I'm going to tell you who it is when we come back. And then I also want to talk about this, since we're on this weird topic of stuff.

I don't believe it. Continue. Okay, so...
Real quickly, Sky has breaking news. The state of California has reached a budget. Yes. Wow. Yeah. How crazy is that? If the budget wasn't... Don't you usually play before? Yeah, you play before. I'm trying to do a new thing, though. Oh, okay. I'm doing this new fad where you announce the news. Hey, Rebecca and I are having twins. But see, you've built anticipation that you've already given me. I'm so confused. I feel weird now. It's kind of interesting, though. It makes you go like, whoa. A little bit. So this is a very good thing because if they didn't reach a budget today, as of today, 276 public works projects in the state would have come to a halt. So all those people that you see working on the freeways, they all would have not been working because all those projects. Does that mean we get our taxes back? Yes. Does it, Skye? It doesn't address that here, but I think that could be what it means, that we won't get the IRA. Calm down, Rob. Wow. I'm not saying that 100%, but that's what I'm guessing. Holy cow. Yeah, the package that they reached addressed the $42 billion deficit, and it includes tax increases, spending cuts, and borrowing. Rob. That's really awesome.
I mean, it's good wrong. I just can't help myself. He's really excited. So excited. Very excited. This is very good news, people. Okay, we're going to get to this topic of things that you believed when you were a kid. 570-1053. I want to hear about the things you believed when you were a kid. First, who, what... Celebrity Sky had a fire in their apartment and what other celebrity was affected by it? Well, this happened earlier this week. It was Tuesday morning and a fire broke out in Tracy Morgan's luxury apartment on Manhattan's Upper West Side. If I knew where the clip was that said that's crazy, I would play it, but I don't have it. I got you. That's crazy. Liz Lemon. There it is. So, yeah, so I guess it was a lamp that was attached to his fish tank that caused the fire. Oh, Mike. A light attached to the fish tank. They get hot. They really do get hot. And so the sprinklers went off. The fire department came. All the people in the building were evacuated, including his neighbor right underneath him.
Sherry Shepard from The View. Oh, no. What celebrity was affected? Sherry Shepard. And I think we, don't we have a clip of her talking about what was important to her when they were evacuating the building? Oh, man. Yes, we do, Skye. Yes, we do. And if you tell me to play it, I'll do it for you. I would like you to play it. You got it. What happened to you this morning? Oh, you know, there was a fire in my building, like right underneath my floors, my entire floors. For the record, she's being interviewed by a bear. Is that what it is? No, that was Whoopi. Oh, that was Whoopi? I didn't even realize that that was the deal. What happened to you this morning? Oh, you know, there was a fire in my building, like right underneath my floor. So my entire floor is flooded. And when I was leaving, they said, you know, you got to evacuate. You got to get Jeffrey out because we don't know if to smoke. So I call up and I said, Jeffrey is her son. He's the new Cody. Yeah. I tell Jeffrey to, you know, get him dressed and tell him to grab all mama's hair and get out. Grab all mama's hair? Yes. What are we talking about here, Skye? Yeah, her weaves, her wigs. Get my weaves? Yes. Are you kidding me? Evacuating, and that's what she tells her son to grab. That's her thought? Not photo albums. Get mama's hair. Get mama's hair. Not jewelry her hair. Whoa. And did he? My baby. Get my hair. That's right. Child. Get mama's weave. I tell you, the things that we really take a... That's important. And I'm really important.
Well, there it is. She's different from me. Congratulations. Yeah, you guys are a little bit different. Yeah, I wouldn't be grabbing my hairs. You would not be grabbing your wigs on the way out. All right, so what did you guys believe as a kid? Oh, man. Yeah. Okay, who goes first? I don't want to. I'm scared. Oh, then you're definitely going first. What do you got, Eddie? Well, when I was a kid, we moved, and when we were looking for houses, My parents would take me into the rooms which were going to be mine. And I believed that when I moved into these houses or whatever house we chose, all the stuff that was in these rooms would be mine. And so the house that I picked was the one with like all the killer toys and everything. And when we moved in to this house, I was like, where's all my stuff? This sucks. That is awesome, dude. And my parents had to explain to me, no, Eddie, you don't get the stuff when you move into the house. You just get the room. And so I was devastated. That's a letdown. Yeah, it was devastating. That's a big time letdown. Sky. Okay.
I don't know where I got this idea, but I guess because music is music. So I always thought that the radio and MTV were the same thing. And I was obsessed with Michael Jackson's Thriller. So anytime it was like, I love that video. So anytime it was on the radio, like we'd be driving home in the car and it would be on the radio. I'd be like, Mom, we have to get home. I'm missing the video. And I'd be up in my room and would come on the radio and I would run down the stairs and turn on the TV and I'd be like, oh man, I must not have been fast enough. Even though it's a 12 minute video. Yeah, that's right. And Skye, you did every time you thought, oh, I must have missed it or something's off. Which is a crazy thought because if you delve deeper into that thought, then that means there was only one radio station for the whole entire world. But I thought the radio and MTV were the same thing. And if it was playing on one, it was playing on the other. It wasn't. Really? No. Oh, that's weird. Gotta get home. Eddie's doing the zombie dance.
That's a video we need to reenact. That's true. What? Yeah, come on. P1 Firewalker. What's up? What'd you believe? You know what? I believed that the people in the TV could see me just as I could see them. That is creepy. That was weird. Did that creep you out or was it comforting? No, it was really weird. I was really conscientious of everything I would do. Yeah, I bet. I bet. Thank you. When I was little. And my brother, Mark, my oldest brother, was one of the first guys to get a VCR. And if anybody remembers the old ones, they look like tape recorders. Yeah, who would pop up out of the top. Out of the top. So if you wanted to tape something, you had to press down the record and play button. Yes, definitely. In order to tape something. And he would tape things. It was revolutionary and really cool. And I thought that you had to... Because... That is great. Otherwise it would tape you. Yeah, you don't want to ruin it. You don't want to ruin it. No way. That's hysterical. Speak quick. P1 Liz. Oh, man. Liz, are you there? Yes, I am. Hello. What did you believe? When I was younger, we were traveling with my parents, and I asked my mom why cows are only on hills and mountains, and she told me...
That it was because they had two legs that were shorter on one side than the other side. So if they didn't live on a hill, I would roll down the hill. And I probably told people that and believed it for like five years. Wow. That is crazy. And don't you love the things you believe? That isn't true. Don't you love the things you believe because your parents told them to you? Yeah. It was definitely a source of amusement for her as a kid. Oh, I'm sure. That's awesome. My niece. I just read on her 25 things that are random about her on Facebook. My niece said that one of the things that she believed was that she would become a princess if she ate her peas. That is true. That's a fact. And it didn't happen, but it was always pitched to her. Like, it will happen. That's why I'm a princess right now. That's right. Yes. That's right. It will happen. You just have to, you got to eat them. Why is he shaking his head at me? Let's see. P1 Scooby, what did you believe? I had a couple of things. One of them was, you know, I could dig to China. Yeah, yeah. I could believe that. You can't? Is that what you're saying? I think you can. It would take a while. You could. A couple days. Take a long time, yeah. At least two days. By three. Another thing that I believed was if you did it long enough and practiced practice, you can actually use the force.
I still believe that Eddie does believe me I try almost on a daily basis to try and get my remote to come to me has it ever come a little bit? I think so, but I don't want to jinx it. Oh, my gosh. If you concentrate hard enough, you can do it. It's called the force, Skye. You're in your mid-30s. I don't care. I can do it. You're going to feel bad when I'm able to do it. It's going to make me feel bad. Yes, Skye, you will feel terrible. I'll get those crackers right there. You know what I mean? There is no try. There is only do. That is right. All right. You're breaking my concentration. All right. Those crackers are not going to come to you. Hold on. Sorry, Eddie. Let's see. What did Shelly believe? P1, Shelly, are you there? Yeah. What did you believe? Well, when I was little, my grandfather told me that he made the parking meters for me. So I thought until like 13 that I was going to be extremely rich when I got older because all the parking meters were mine. Oh, my gosh.
That is so, like, random. It is. Like, what a random thing to tell the kid, you know? That's just messing with little kids. Yeah. I mean, how deflated are you when you realize, like, that's not my money? I was so upset. Yeah, yeah. Imagine. I was ready to buy all the stuff I wanted when I got older. Yep. What the heck? Thanks. If she didn't, like, break into them and be like, well, they're mine. Yeah. That's right. You can text messages. Text Mikey at gmail.com. It's a brand new text thing we got. Text Mikey. At gmail.com. The voice is going again. I hear it. Can you, Rob, will you get me some throat coat? Oh, your voice? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you. Can I say my one thing? Yeah. Sorry. I was just waiting for the right time. Yeah, yeah. When I was real little, my mom will always tell me this story still to this day because she thinks it's hilarious. I guess I may have been like... kindergarten preschool age yeah and uh we had to collect like a caterpillar or something you know and like bring it into a class and i guess mine like passed away over the course you know i caught it one day i was going to bring it in the next day and i passed away and i ran into my mom's room or my mom and dad's room and i said you need to change the batteries my caterpillar stopped moving
And they had just died, and I didn't understand the concept. You really thought you could bring it back to life with batteries? Yeah, I thought you just had to put the new batteries in it. They bring it up like I'm an idiot, though. Well, that's not true. I was 15. Cindy has a good one. That's right, Cindy. What is yours? P1 Cindy is actually Quimby, but for some reason I called her Cindy, and that's stuck. Now it's stuck. Go ahead, Cindy. Okay, so you know how around Christmas time, there's a Christmas carol about Santa Claus is coming into town. He sees you when you're sleeping. I used to think that around Christmas time, Santa Claus could see me in the bathroom, and I was really freaked out about going to the restroom because Santa Claus can see me. Yeah, he sees you when you're filthy. It's so weird. Santa doesn't judge. Well, he does, actually. He does? He keeps a list. Especially if you keep the door open. By definition, a judger. Very judgmental. Very judgmental. That's right. I heard that. Cindy, what did you say? I said, especially if you keep the bathroom open. Cindy. That's ridiculous. Sky does that. Whatever. We're getting some text messages of what people believed. When I was in kindergarten, my teacher put footprints all over the classroom.
and got us all to believe that they were from leprechauns. It's P1C. This one says, Mikey, my parents would tell me that drugs were bad when I was little, and when I saw the first drugstore ever, I freaked out and ran to tell my parents. That's P1 Mike. That is awesome. P1 Brenda K. texted and said, Mikey, when my mom said that my eyes were bigger than my stomach, I believed her. P1 Patrick is on the line. and he believes something that has to do with Back to the Future. Are you there, Patrick? Yeah. What did you believe? I believed that when I was a kid that if my dad's car went 88 miles an hour, I would travel back in time. That is so awesome. That's awesome. Did you go? No, unfortunately not.
But what the beauty is is that you knew that you could. Yeah, for sure. You put enough garbage in there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had a Jeep Wrangler, and I don't know if you've ever driven a Wrangler with a plastic window. They're not easy to get up to 88. The lights on the windows, they look all warped, just like the DeLorean, and I used to be really scared, and my parents took forever to figure out why I hated going fast. That is so cute. I love that. You guys are the best. Love you guys. Thank you. Love you. Rob just made me some throat coat. Oh. This is good stuff. Oh, Robbie. It really does heal the pipers. Yeah. Careful. It's a wicked one. Wicked one. He's a wicked one. Eddie, we're doing the... We're supposed to hear the heartbeats today. Oh, yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're doing the one where you go in there and you hear the heartbeats. And Rebecca and I were wondering because we found out we're having twins. How do you hear two different heartbeats? Mm-hmm. How are they going to do that? People probably know. I have no idea. Text us at textmikeygmail.com. It's a real easy way to text us. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Let's see. P1 Erica. Hello. That is awesome. P1 Joe is on the line. Let's talk to Joe. Joe, you there? Joe, go ahead. You guys remember that old school Twilight Zone episode where the two kids swam down to the bottom of the pool and touched the drain? Yes. It came up in the fairytale land. I used to believe that wholeheartedly so I would always never go down the deep end. Really? Yeah, it was pretty bad. I think I probably got a lot of creepy beliefs from The Twilight Zone. Oh, yeah. And what was the other one you used to watch? Night Gallery. Night Gallery. That was the worst. That's crazy. Well, that was the scariest one, man. Night Gallery was way scarier than... Sky, did you ever watch any scary TV when you were a kid? No, I remember one time I watched that Have You Checked the Children movie and it freaked me out forever. You know, so many people say that was like the freakiest to them. That's awful. The Have You Check the Children movie. And then I did see the Twilight Zone movie and that freaked me out of flying for a while. No, see, that was a sweet one. Get the kid. But the thing on the wing, forget it, man. William Shatner. by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Well, traffic is staying tough on some of our freeways. The westbound ain't still finding a break. Let's from Las Coaches out of the Cajon Valley into East Main Street. Tight again from Spring Street out to Lake Murray and La Mesa. And some left over slowing through Hotel Circle near Taylor Street. The north 805 still jamming up here from the 94 up to the 15. Then again out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. Heading down the coastline, south 5, a struggle from La Costa into Solana Beach. And the southbound 15, staying slow from the 78 down to Villarancho Parkway. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, let me tell you, AMCO is the best. And we had somebody call in just a little while ago telling us about their great experience at AIS. And I encourage anybody that's had a great experience at AMCO to call as well and tell us about your experience. I absolutely love AMCO, and I tell my family to go to AMCO, and they do, and my neighbors, and I trust them. And it's because I've been in there personally, and I've experienced what they do. Drop your car off at Amco. Take it in there. Leave it in there over the lunch break. And let them take a look at what's going on. They've been in business in 64. They know transmissions like nobody else. They will do a, if your check engine light's on, they'll tell you why it's on for free. If it requires more diagnosis, tell them you're a P1, 10% off on all the repairs. Boom, bam. That's just an exclusive deal for P1s. And so I'd like you to take advantage of it. It's fantastic.
They are AMCO, and you know them by their name. Double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Why would you take it anywhere else? This is the home of The Mikey Show. K-I-O-Z. San Diego. The Mikey Show. With a Mikey moment. Pointing the finger at everybody but yourself always leads to bad. You're pointing one at someone else. You're pointing three back at yourself, Mike. That's exactly right. You're pointing one at someone else. Guess what? You're pointing three back at yourself, buddy. Very profound. You've got to think about that one. Let it marinate. So keep pointing. Remember, you've got three pointing. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Yeah, warm that puppy up. I love Foreigner. That's right, dude. Foreigner's the best, right? Toto. Toto. 38 special. Wait, which one is? It's the great R-E-O. R-E-O. That's what I'm talking about. Never heard this song in my life. Oh, dude. Never. I had to try to convince my mom to let me go to this concert with my brother. How old were you?
Eleven. Oh, my God. Wow. She didn't let me. That was good. Yeah. She didn't let me. Yeah. I can see that. But Steve wanted to take me. I had interesting ways. Who did they play with? Doobie Brothers? Who did they play with? That is a great question. Probably the Doobie Brothers. Doobie Brothers and REO. That could have been. Oh, yeah. Yeah, dog. Let's see. Okay, so when we got back, I wanted to tell you about Michael Jackson and stuff that he's having to auction off. Dude, this is nuts. So in April, he's going to be doing this auction through Julianne's Auctions. I don't know, whatever. It's going to start April 21st, and more than 2,000 of his personal items are going to be auctioned. Some of the bigger things are the American Music Award he won for Thriller. For real? Wow. A velvet cape that was given to him by his kids for Father's Day in 98. Are you kidding? Some rhinestone trim socks from 91. Are you just going to do it a bit? No, I swear. A basketball that was signed by Michael Jordan. Wow. Original artwork. Platinum and gold records.
a customized Harley specifically for him, and a Rolls-Royce limo. I'm sure he's ridden that a lot. Him on his dog. Rolls-Royce limo. He rides a real hog. I believe that. It came up like a Harley. That's right. Yeah, but it's, I mean. Customized. pig. He must be really hard up for money because that's some crazy stuff. Maybe I am hard up for money. Listen to me. Are you okay, Michael? Well, let me tell you something, Eddie. One of my most prized possessions is Peter Pan's bottoms. Really? The actual Peter Pan's bottoms? Yeah, yeah. And when you put them on, you feel like you're flying. Are you wearing them right now? Yeah. That's weird. The pants can fit two people, but it is snug, and so it works best if you have a friend as big as Emanuel Lewis. Wait, no, Michael. You know, you get into it. If you actually have Emanuel Lewis. I don't think people do, so. People don't like that. You know, guys, I'm also selling a portrait that Andy Dick painted for me. Oh, Dick. He's an artist. He painted a picture of me.
and Matt Dillon's chin. Really? That must be precious to you. It's beautiful. It's in 3D. Wow. And it's more like a sculpture. Oh. So whoever buys it needs to dedicate an entire room to it because of how obtrusive it is. Because of the chin. Yeah. And I'm also selling Cindy Crawford's mold. Oh, you own that? You don't own that. Me? No, he doesn't. I own it. I want that. You seem very emotional, Michael. Are you okay? Well, I am because I don't want to have to sell it. I wear it to all the big events and everything. That time I wore it to the Clear Channel Christmas party in the lobby. It was a potluck. It was so lame. Why even do it? If you're going to do it in the lobby and stuff. I also have... I also have a recording of everybody from Full House singing that Beach Boys song, Wouldn't It Be Nice? Oh, really? Yeah. Dude, I would die to have that. Oh, wow. The whole house? Uncle Jesse? Uncle Jesse? Well, we recorded it when I was having some financial troubles, and I had to move in with Danny Tanner and Uncle Jesse and Joey. I don't remember that, but... Yeah, those are the characters' names. I don't believe you did. They took me in, and we called ourselves...
full house because of how many people were living there. Really? That is an interesting point. Michael Jackson. This is weird, Michael. You guys. What's up? One time, I tried to sell my ears, but there weren't any takers. Ew. So gross. And I guess it was because the family of baboons living in there brought down the market. All right. A family of baboons live in your ears. Live in my ears. Michael Jackson. I don't believe that, Michael. It's on my MTV award. Why? I really want to get rid of it. Why? Well, it was presented to me by Bon Jovi. Really? And that guy's hair is haunting me. Like what? Like it comes to your room at night? Yeah. That's terrible. That's scary. And I think it comes in there because of the award. Oh, yeah. Will you guys buy it for me? No, I don't want that. I don't want Bon Jovi's hair. Get out of here, Bon Jovi hair. No. Is it bothering you right now, Michael? Yes. Leave me alone.
I don't want to condition you. I don't want to. But it's very dry. You need to. It's very poofy. I need to. I'm also oshinging off a hot air balloon trip with me as your captain to Mars. No, that is... I do not accept that. You are so weird. Mars, you guys, is one of my favorite destinations because there you can have all the cotton candy that you can eat. Okay. Yum. I don't know. Yum. I don't have to get vaccinated there like I do on Earth. What? What are you talking about? You're a grown man. I get six vaccinations per hour. You do? For what? To help the economy. Okay. Because with the economy the way that it is, I decided I'm going to auction off two of my favorite possessions. What's that? Tito and Latoya. Those are your siblings. Yeah, they're not your possessions, Michael. Forty-five, forty-five and a dollar, forty-five. Do you Tito one time? Okay. No, no takers. They're good for all kinds of household chores, Skye. Really? Yeah, like they'll maintain your roller coaster. They'll feed your giraffe. Michael, most people don't have that. And they'll clean your secret rooms. Oh, I don't want to know about that. I don't want to know about that. Nobody even knew existed. No, thank you. No, thank you, good sir.
Yeah, I pass. They also have a map of my belly button, which is good because otherwise I'd get lost in there. He is so fascinated with his belly button. He loves your belly button. Michael. Yeah. You guys. What? I'm going to be auctioning off all my awards, even my Macaulay Culkin Award. What is that? It's an award that he made just for me out of bubblegum, cotton candy, and multicolored straws. I don't think we... That's evidence. I don't have a picture of that. That's not an award. That sounds... Now, you guys, Mr. Trinket, my accountant, who also happens to be a gummy bear, will be auctioning off an award, too. What is it? Well, he's an auctioning off his thumb wrestling award for five sand dollars. I need to let you know. I'm serious, man. And I'm going to tell you. It's a gummy bear. I can't accept sand dollars anymore. Why not? Because I ran into counterfeit ones and it started to be a problem. Is that right? I'm going to sell all of these things. I'm going to raise money so that I can afford a wedding to my girlfriend, King Charlemagne.
That is interesting that you bring up King Charlamagne. She asked me to marry her last weekend at a sock hop. Is that right? And I had my hair in a bow like the girl from Thriller. What? It was beautiful. Michael, you're a boy. It sounds gorgeous. And we were sitting there and we were eating pizza and we were being young and we were giggling and everything. You were being young. What was that? And then suddenly it occurred to me like, oh, no, I'm broke. And so I must raise enough money to have this wedding. And it is going to be the grandest wedding ever. And it is going to cost $1,000. Are we talking sand dollars or regular dollars? Dollars. Oh, wow. That's a lot. Oh, gosh, Michael. That's crazy. And then I'm also selling my car, Beanie. You have a car named Beanie. What? I call him that because he has the toots. You're so stupid. I don't think that's possible. He does have the toots. He's embarrassed about it. And every time he's going to his orthodontist, Dr. Schmutz, he always is tooting. You are living in fantasy land. Dr. Schmutz DDS. He has a practice in La Jolla and he sells steroids on the side.
No one does that. It's like Paul McCartney when he had wings. Oh, no. That was his band. It's like Zeth when he worked at Best Buy. Too soon. Is it too soon? Mikey. You forget. The Mikey Show. There is a new overturn crash, though, in the North 805 here on the ramp to northbound 15. They may be shutting down that transition ramp for a time to get this car out of the way, but it doesn't seem to be affecting the ride too much right now if we just watch for it. A little farther in the 805, so tough out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52.
West 94, a minor delay at the 805 as you make that turn, and then a few more brake lights into downtown. South 15 is improving, now slow from Auto Parkway down out of Fescondido to Via Rancho Parkway. This goes to ride southbound 5, still tough from La Costa and Salana Beach. And if you're traveling westbound to 56, a heavy brake light still from Camino del Sur getting to the 5. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show. Hey. Hey. I never, ever get through, and I'm up early enough today to finally get through. I wanted to tell Mikey about Sleep Train. I got a deal there that will beat anything I've ever heard on the radio, ever. You're the best. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, dude. Sleep Train's great. What did you get? What kind of mattress? Okay, Simmons Beauty Rest. Isn't that what you have, Sky? Yeah, I think so. Yeah? Simmons Beauty Rest. It was a $6,000 mattress they gave to me for half price. Whoa. That's awesome. And they threw in pillows. A sheet set, a bed frame, and a mattress pad. Word. What? For free. That's the way it goes at Sleep Train. That's true. Oh, I bet it's so freaking comfortable. Like a cloud. Oh, I want it. But yeah, it's a Simmons Beautyrest. They even broke down the difference between the best ones and the lower end ones. Every day at about 30 after the hour, we give you the Mikey Show 360, which is what's going on in the world. What are people talking about? What's the big news of the day? The buzz, if you will. The buzz. No. The buzz right now is this chimp that killed this lady's friend. It is the buzz right now, right? This is crazy. So crazy. Now, what is, well, first of all, Skye, let people know what happened. Okay, so this lady had this former star chimp. I don't know. He did, like, commercials and stuff. 200 pounds living with her as, like, her pet. His name was Travis. It was her pet. He was in an old Navy commercial. I think he was, like, in a Coke commercial. Coke commercial. Yeah. So this was her pet, a 200-pound chimp.
Like Tarzan's cheetah. Exactly. What? Pretty much, yeah. Is that it? Yeah. All right. Tarzan had a chimp. His name was Cheetah. Yeah. Oh, really? Think about it. It's a brain scrambler, ain't it? That one got me. He messes with you. So, you know, this chimp was hanging out, and I guess, you know, one of her friends came over, or they went over to the friend's house. I'm not sure exactly how it went down, but anyways, the chimp, like... freaked out on the friend and basically started attacking the friend and they couldn't like get the chimp to stop and they had to call the police and the police came out and shot the chimp and killed him and the friend is in critical condition in really really bad shape because of this attack well the weird thing is is when this story first came out The woman was saying that the chimp had been acting kind of aggravated that day. And so she put some Xanax in a cup of the chimp's tea. I guess the chimp drinks tea. And put some Xanax in there to try and chill the chimp out prior to the attack. Xanax is a tranquilizer for people. For humans. Yes. A lot of people take it before they get on flights if they're afraid of flying. Yeah.
But now is contradicting herself because in an interview Wednesday morning with the Today Show, she talks about the Xanax. But later in that day when she does an interview with the Associated Press, she said she never gave Xanax to the chimp. Yeah, now I have the Today Show one where she kind of acknowledges that she did. Sharla Nash was wearing her hair differently the day of the attack. That's her friend that was attacked. But police have other theories. Among them, something Harold did just before the attack. She was trying to calm Travis down and gave him tea in this mug. Tea with the antidepressant Xanax. How long was that before the attack that you gave him the Xanax? Five minutes. It's that. You think the Xanax had something? Oh, no. Five minutes. Well, she's acknowledging it. That means you did. And I agree with her for the record. If she's telling the truth and she gave it to him five minutes beforehand, probably didn't have much effect on the monkey. Clearly didn't have much effect on the monkey. Well, the experts say that Xanax can actually lead to aggression in people who are unstable. Now, that's people who are unstable. But the reason she may be taking that back and trying to say that she didn't do that is because if a pet owner knows that their animal is dangerous.
then they can be held criminally responsible for the attack. Really? So if she drugged the animal because she knew the animal was agitated that day, that's showing that she knew her animal was in a bad state. So that could lead to criminal charges against her. She was stabbing the monkey, the chimp trying to get it to stop attacking a friend. Stabbing it? She started stabbing it. Wow. With what? I think a kitchen knife. Kitchen knife, like a butcher knife. Yeah, and also was like hitting it with a shovel, I think. She was. Still wouldn't stop this animal from ripping her friend's face off. But here she is explaining that. And I went around, and I saw what was going on, and I hollered at him. And he was just grabbing her, and then I went and got the shovel. And I was trying to, you know. It's almost like a jerky boy's voice, you know what I mean? Hit him with the shovel to stop it, and it wasn't working, so I went. Doesn't that sound like the, you know, I got my glasses. My eyes are going crazy. Had to get a knife. Oh, boy. And you stabbed him. I had to. What a gross, creepy story. He looked at me like, Mom, what did you do? Oh, come on. Oh, my God. Well, why did you put him in that position? That's awful. I can't imagine. You know what I mean? You got him on Xanax. You got him. Why do people got to own chimps? Sky, give me your thoughts.
Well, I'm sure that they can be very tender and loving at times, you know, and lots of animals can, but. But they're animals, they're wild animals. When they're wild animals that, you know, aren't domesticated, no, they still have that wild streak inside them, you know. See, and it doesn't matter what it is. When you say, oh, it's a wild animal that's been domesticated, like, come on, you know. The chance, I think, the risk is always going to be there. I mean, this chimp was 14, and for 14 years, there was nothing. The guy plays checkers with you. Yeah, that's true. He does. Come on. He wears a diaper. Drinks tea. Drinks tea. The guy drinks tea. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Hello. Probably watches the Beverly Hillbillies. Probably. You know. Probably lets you pretend that you got a pistol, and you're doing the, like, Clint Eastwood deal. Yeah, you'll feed him, and he falls down. Aw. Here she is talking about what she used to feed him. Would I have done it again? Yes. It was horrific what happened, and I had to do what I had to do. But I still, I'll miss him for the rest of my life. Maybe not. Maybe I got it wrong. Here we go. I'll give you what she fed him. Listen to this. Appearing in Old Navy commercials and treated like a king at home. I used to buy everything for him. Everything. I mean, he was filet mignon, lobster tails. Oh, gosh. He ate well. Lent chocolate.
What for? What's the point of that? Give it a banana. Yeah, he likes bananas. Yeah, don't they eat bananas? Filet mignon and lobster tails. What's the point of that? That poop must be so silly. Who cares? I don't even need to eat that. Think about it. You've got to clean it up. Okay, thank you. Right? If it was vegetarian diet, it probably wouldn't be as bad. I would think so. That's true. Just another reason upon reason. Okay. To not have a chimpanzee. Think about the checkers. Dude, I'll do it on the computer rather than... I see what you're saying. It's a funnier game. Wave fight with a monkey? It's a funny game of checkers. But at the same time, I just don't want to deal with the repercussions. I understand. That's the way I roll.
So when Eddie's face has been ripped off, you're not going to say to him, but we play checkers. I would understand. You would not. You would. I don't believe you would. I would. I believe if you were laying there with your face off, you wouldn't understand. I would have been like, well, yeah, I mean, I understand my face is off, but, you know. As I delicately placed it back on. Yeah. Well, you at least got to king the monkey. Yeah. Now you get to move backwards. Like, that's cool. That's true. Wow. So here's Morgan Fairchild because obviously she was in that old Navy commercial with him. Her face got ripped off. No, that's just what she looks like. She's gorgeous. Here's Morgan Fairchild, and I'm sure that this will sound completely, you know, rational. I think she is heartbroken. These are very smart animals. Morgan Fairchild appeared alongside Travis in this Old Navy commercial, and she tells Extra the chimp never exhibited aggressive behavior. Oh, really? Of course not. That's why it's on a commercial with you. What do you think? They get the angriest, meanest ones for the commercial? Of course. The set. I have a great still photograph of us, you know, sitting there. Produce it.
Produce it. I would like to see said great still photo. Let me tag you in that picture. Yeah, I want to tag you in that. And I want to write on your wall that you have that. In her new movie, The Steam Room, Morgan has some unique views. You know, men are like bras. You spend a lifetime and a fortune trying to find one that fits. Oh, you are old school. That is a good one. That's a good one, isn't it? Yeah. Oh, man. Is that your opinion on whether Travis deserved to be killed after this incident? It is a sin that this animal has had to be destroyed. Well, he had to be destroyed, lady. He was attacking somebody. He was in the middle of murdering someone. Yeah, in the middle. He was right in there. And they were like, hey. He was holding that woman's face. In his hand. I mean, come on, Morgan. Oh, my gosh. I mean, what does he have to do in order for you to feel that it was warranted? Thank you. Wow. That's all I'm trying to say. Wowza. Morgan. Thank you. And that's all we have to say. That's all we have to say about that. You're welcome. How about this scene from the movie The Wrestler? What? I used to try to forget about you. This is the scene that they're playing. This is the scene that they're playing from The Wrestler because Mickey Rourke has been nominated for an Academy Award. Award. An Academy Award for his portrayal. What does that have to do with the tune?
We're done talking about that. What are you going to do? Oh, I didn't know. I thought it was a weird transition. Yeah, dude. We moved on to it. No, it makes sense. I got it. I'm moving on to the wrestler. Do you think he's going to win? Yes, I do. Do you? Or do you say that? I'm saying it because he's got one more shot at winning that thing. Go ahead. Apologize to your daughter. I used to try to pretend that... You didn't exist. Don't hate me. Don't you really? Tears. I'm an old, broken down piece of meat. I deserve to be all alone. I just don't want you to hate me. What an amazing performance. Marissa Tomei is overrated. Oh, come on. She didn't deserve an Oscar. I'm just saying. Mickey, didn't you treat people? differently when you were in Hollywood before. Is that the deal? People that I burnt bridges with many years ago seem to have forgiven me for the horrible way I carried myself for many years. I just didn't have the tools to play the game and understand the politics. I have a lot of regrets that I wish I could have. Thank you, Robin. He doesn't like to be called that. He doesn't like to be called that. He doesn't like to be called that.
It's Randy. It's Randy. I'm an old broken down piece of meat. We know. We've heard that. We got you. Yeah. Okay, here's what I'm going to do. First of all, we have NASCAR tickets coming up in the nine o'clock hour. Oh, there is a former Rockstar NXS dude that is on the skids. He is not doing good. Homeless. Tell you who it is. Also, Jeter and A-Rod, they're not roommates. They're not best friends. They are not BFFs. And so A-Rod comes out, says that he's doing the roids. And what does Derek Jeter have to say about it?
We'll find out in the sport third coming up. You're listening to the Mikey Show. How dare you all attack him like this? Mikey. Michael is your superior. You should be bowing down in front of him. Eddie. Yes, Mike, I have a gambling problem. No. Boston Rob. I'm a catch. Come on. No, it didn't. What do you think the deal is with that? Why I lose my voice halfway through? Too many rock concerts. Is that it? Yeah. I wonder what the actual physiological deal is with halfway through the show my voice given out. It's got to be something with your sinuses. Is it? Drainage and stuff like that. Blockage, leakage. Yes. What? Ani leakage. I don't think that has anything to do with the voice. We'll just spell that rumor. You don't know. Maybe I don't. So, Skye, what rock star NXS guy is homeless? The winner.
A rock star in excess. Well, that's not how it's supposed to work. Yeah, so if you watch the show back in 2005 on CBS, you know, they were doing this rock star in excess where it was kind of like an American Idol thing where a bunch of people were going to be, you know, to win, to be the lead singer of in excess. And this one guy, J.D. Fortune, won. He was the winner. And so they recorded an album. They even had a semi-hit single for a while. Didn't he come in here or no? No. No. Who came in here? Some guy from Rockstar came in here. He's maybe in a song. He's blown up since, right? Because he came in here acting a little. No, it was not. Oh, Ryan Starr. Ryan Starr. Yes. How I knew that. I don't know how you pulled that out. That's amazing. That's true. Yeah, he came in here and did he sing or no? No. I don't even remember. You don't remember? He had eyeliner on, I think. Ryan Starr. He had eyeliner. Guy liner. He had guy liner. And he walked with a swagger. That's right.
So they put out a new album. They had a semi-hit. They went on an international tour where it was like a 23-month tour. It was like two years long. They were on tour together. Sounds prosperous. Yeah. And he said, you know, they would play shows where there was like 80,000 people in the crowd. And he said at the end of the tour, he says he was literally in the Hong Kong airport. And the guys from In Excess basically shook his hand and said, take care. He didn't get paid? I don't know. I don't know. I mean, I understand them shaking his hand and saying, take care. Yeah. I mean, just because you don't, like, have a place to go doesn't really mean you're homeless. Oh, he says he's living in his car. What? What did he do? Well, he does talk about, you know, how he was very depressed because he knew it was coming to an end. And so there was some heavy cocaine use on his part. But he defends it by saying it was bad because he needed to numb out the fact that it was going to come to a screeching halt. Rob. Not appropriate right there. I have a fear of being homeless. Really? Yeah. Please. I have a fear of being homeless. I have a crazy fear of being homeless. I have a fear that one of these days I'm going to be on the streets of PB or the streets of Encinitas and people are going to go, that's that dude that used to be a DJ on the radio.
Remember, he used to be all into God, and he had, you know, like, it's a legitimate fear. Yeah. You have this guy? I have crazy, like, I was talking to Eddie about this, like, a month ago in the office. I have, like, crazy, like, money, like, fears. Money. About, like, not like that. Money. You never made me money. Money. I love you. I love you, money. Which basically ends with me on the street. And I know I'd never be on the street because my parents would take me in. Thank you. Where are you, money? Money, money, money. But it would just be so sad to end up, you know, being in your 30s or 40s and living with your parents because, you know. I burn hundreds to stay warm. Well, that's your problem. No, no, no. Stop burning. I burn hundreds to stay warm. Okay. I have anxiety. Money, money, money. It's an irrational fear. I hope so. Very much so. What about this? Let's do it. Come on. It's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. All right, I got a lot of good stuff for you today. What do you got? Well, the Chargers, they don't want Darren Sproles to go anywhere. They placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Sproles, which means that the Chargers have the right to match any offer he gets in free agency. If he signs with another team, the Chargers get two first-round draft picks. I'm excited. I'd like to see Darren Sproles play. 43 will still be on the team. It's fun.
A day after reports that he was headed to Atlanta, Ken Griffey Jr. returns to his old home. He signed a one-year deal with Seattle, the team he started his career with. How good is he still, Eddie? He's very average now. I mean, I think age has caught up with him. Would he be the best player on the Padres? No. Adrian Gonzalez is the best player on the Padres. And then after him, would he be the best player on the Padres? No. Jake Peavy is still on the team. So Jake Peavy is actually the best player on the podcast. And Adrian Gonzalez. Will he be the best player after Adrian Gonzalez? No. Chris Young is better than him. Will he be, okay, after Chris Young, Jake Peavy. Let's take the pictures out of it, though. Oh, take the pictures out of it? Well, he would definitely be the best. He would be the best outfielder we have, no question about it. Oh, wow. He's better than Brian Giles. What does that mean? That the guy, if somebody's a great outfielder, does that mean that when somebody hits a ball to the outfield, they just get to it? Is that what makes somebody a great outfielder? Partially. You know, there's a lot of aspects of going into being a good outfielder. One is range. One is, you know, speed, your arm. Put your body to good use. Like, you know, sometimes you're going to take a beat and run it into a wall or, you know, jump in a fence.
Who's a great outfielder? Who's a terrible one? Jacoby Ellsbury. Barry Bonds was the worst outfielder. He used to make me so angry. I think I used to hear that, that he was a terrible outfielder. He's not going to sacrifice his body for a ball. So he would just kind of lump around. Manny Ramirez is a terrible outfielder. Because he didn't really want to do it. He's just a weird outfielder. Not there all the time. Not really paying attention to the game. It was great. Trot Nixon. No, you're just thinking of Red Sox. Of course he is. Yeah, that is a horse. Won the Kentucky Derby a couple of years ago. Gosh, I've drawn a blank. It's Frost Nixon. What is going on? I don't know. Who do you like, Eddie? Well, I mean, I always back, you know, now he's not, you know, he's older, but I really like Jim Edmonds in center fielder. I thought he was a great outfielder. Now he's kind of, you know, breaking down a little bit.
Gosh, I'm trying to think of who's real good. I like this stuff because it helps me understand the game. I don't really understand baseball that much, but I love to learn and follow it. So it's kind of cool for me to hear who's good, who's bad. I think Ichiro is a good. Ichiro. Ichiro, yeah, yeah. He's a good outfielder. Cool. I can't remember that dude that the Angels signed. Torrey Hunter. All right. He was pretty good. Torrey Pines, real good. All right. Derek Jeter finally addressed the A-Rod situation yesterday. Here's what he had to say about his best friend. First and foremost, I don't condone anything he did. First and foremost. Let's get that out of the way. I just want everybody to know I don't like what he did. He doesn't condone anything he did. He understands that it is a mistake. He's trying to get past that mistake. As teammates, we're going to help him out. Realize it's going to be difficult. Our job is to try to support him. as he tries to get back on the field and get ready for his season. But he made a mistake. That's the bottom line. He admitted to his mistake. I know there's going to be people out there saying this, saying that. But he came out, he admitted what he did, and now it's time to move on. What do you think? Wow, very supportive. The guy's a piece of crap, but he admitted it, so that's cool. That's what I'm kind of hearing. That's interesting.
So Tiger Woods caddy, Steve Williams, he says Tiger is about 95% and he's almost ready to return. He's probably 95% the way there. Come on. Is that for real? That's right. Waiting for the birth of his second child. Oh, so cute. He came there last week. So he's ready to go. He just needs a little bit more. walking. He hasn't been able to walk too well. By the way, Sky, great restaurant choices. Love what you love. Any time in the next few weeks, he's going to tear it up. He definitely wants to play a couple of tournaments for Augusta. Any day now, he's going to make a decision when he's going to play. Oh, we get it. You know him personally. Best friends. Show off. Charles Barkley has apologized and called his drunk driving arrest unacceptable. Oh, really? So Barkley's about to return to his TV gig. Is he? After his suspension. People love him. I love Charles Barkley. I was actually really bummed when he wasn't a part of the slam dunk competition and the three-point shootout. Because usually he's the commentator on that and he's hysterical. Scott, did you know that he's very beloved? No. People love him. He's very honest. Yeah, he's funny. He's honest and he's funny.
He's a big Dan Patrick guy, too. Oh, I like Dan Patrick. He's great. He's your best friend. He's great. I saw him on the Super Bowl. We have a Tom Brady update, ladies and gentlemen. Let's do this. Tom Brady says his recovery from knee surgery is right on track. When you're injured, no one likes to come back and rehab from injuries just because you can't do the normal stuff. But I think I'm at the point now where... His voice sounds like a locker room smells. I don't mean that as an insult. I do not mean that as an insult. How do you mean that, Mike? I mean it as a genuine observation. When I hear his voice, I can smell the locker room. What? Like the locker room before a game or like after double days? Are you hitting on him? I don't mean it in a gross way. Like Stetson? No. I'm back feeling what I need to do. When you're sitting here in February and you're not out there in minicamp, you can make all the predictions in the world. You know, I'm just excited to, you know, see my teammates back here in March, and we're all going to be working toward New York Gold. Not for long. I'm an old, broken-down piece of meat. No, you're not that old, Todd. Rumor has it that the Patriots are looking to move to a running. No way. That makes sense, right, Eddie? Well, it does and it doesn't. You know, I mean, they're putting all their hopes on Matt Castle, which is, you know.
Kind of interesting. Don't hassle, Matt Cass. That's what they say. That's true. Granted, he had a pretty good season last year, led him to an 11-5 year, but they didn't go to the playoffs. The breakout playoffs. The breakout playoffs. And so you don't know how he's going to do under big game situations, and Tom Brady is Mr. Big Game Situation. Playoffs! He lives for it. Yeah, but Bill Belichick thinks he's a genius and smarter than everybody else. Bill Belichick is pretty smart. Well, well. I guess when you're videotaping stuff, I guess, you know. Oh, my God. You can learn a lot. That's the only thing we got. See, my bill, Belichick, you go, you got to look at Belichick, you go, well, until he proves otherwise, right? I mean, dude's pretty good. He wins a bunch of championships. Yeah. He knows who he's up to. When he cheats, it's a hobby. You notice when that came out, he hasn't won. I guess the proof's in the pudding on that one. Anyway. Okay. Tom Brady is going to be a 49er. Anyway, back to you, Mike. Is that a true statement? They're talking about it. That'd be awesome. Buddy, calm down. Eddie says that his wife is getting more and more uncomfortable with being pregnant. Oh, really? Oh, she's miserable. Is she? Well, you know, she can't. I guess you're not allowed to lay on your back when you're past the first trimester or something like that. So what does she do?
She can't find a position where she's comfortable. She got the body pillow? Yeah, it doesn't help. What's that, the body pillow? It sounds like I'd like it. It's the pillow that's the length of your body. Yeah, and so like when you're a pregnant lady, you can kind of throw your leg over it while you're like on your side. Or when you're like single and like don't have anyone. You can do that. You can draw a smiley face on it. So she can't find a position? No, and so I'm worried like when she's like. seven eight months pregnant like what is she gonna do well how many months along is she because it's four and a half okay i was gonna say she getting hot does she get hot or she's like um not yet i've heard about that but no not really when rebecca was pregnant with jake she was like a furnace really just turn on the air conditioner and she just let the air can stand under the vent wow find the sweet spot is that like was she a certain month or Towards the end. Towards the end. Yeah. And that's very unlike her because she's one of those girls who's always cold, you know. Oh, she was a furnace, man. Wow. She was so hot. And she... Baking a baby in there. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, they get towards... Hey. There's a bug in the oven. Okay. We get it. We get what you're saying. Let's see. Wow. Tool belt, huh? Oh, my God. She laughed at that cat tool belt, man. That's rude. Even in the office yesterday. One day long.
Let's see. I think this sucker is working. I'm going to double check here just to make sure. But I think we've got something really cool going on at the website for you. Check it out, Mike. Give it a looky-loo first. MikeyShow.com? All right. Oh, we've got to record a new Mikey Science Theater 3000. I'm ready. I'm waiting. Go to MikeyShow.com. Check out our blogs. You're waiting. I am. Check out the Mikey Minute. Every day I go home and check. Nope, not a new one yet. I know. All right. Well, if we give them to you all at once, then you're going to become blasé. All right. You know what I mean? A little bit at a time. Yeah, we'll give you a little taste. Give you a little taste. You want a little taste of that? There you go. There you go, sweetie. A little bit at a time. Please tell me I have just a little bit of time, Eddie. You do have a little bit of time. Not much, though? Not much. All right. I'll tell you this. What? Rachel Bilson. Don't know who she is. Who's Rachel Bilson? I do know who Hayden Christensen is. Yeah. Rachel was summer in the OC, and she was in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Yep. She's real sweet, real hot. She's a good-looking kid. Yeah, a good-looking kid. This is a very nice thing. She's marrying young Skywalker. Anakin. Anakin. Yeah.
Eddie was getting a real young Skywalker. That could mean a variety of things. Calm down here. Eddie, you didn't like that cast, though, did you? I didn't think he was very good in episode two, but I thought he was better in episode three. Boy, he sure has made a career out of it, though, hasn't he? What is that supposed to be? What? Did you not see Jumper? Did you not see Jumper? They were in Jumper together. They were in Jumper together. That's right. That's where they met. You've never seen Jumper? What is that? Hello, it's one of the most amazing American films ever made for American cinema. It's like Godfather, Apocalypse Now, and Jumper. I thought that was a third eye blind song. It's that too. You've got some growing up to do. Just because you heard that doesn't mean you can use it. It seemed like it fits. I don't really know what it means. The trial has been delayed in the guy that threw the shoe at President Bush.
Yeah, the shoe thrower? Yeah, so it's a weird reason why they delayed this trial. I don't really understand. They said the court needs more time to ask the Iraqi cabinet whether President Bush's visit was, quote, formal or informal. So what if the guy threw a shoe at me? So I guess that'll make a difference in the trial? So if it was... Formal, it's probably worse. It's probably... Big time. Yeah, but if it's informal, then no big deal. Like, I don't know. But this guy's like a hero over there. Like, they're with this first court date. There were people outside, the supporters gathering, yelling he's a hero, demanding his release. Oh, come on. Who cares? Right now, the maximum penalty is 15 years in prison. Oh, my gosh. Shoe thrower. Over at the College Avenue area by SDSU. There was a big sinkhole that opened up. Those are scary. What is that? You don't know what a sinkhole is? It's all of a sudden you're sitting there looking at the... They're creepy, man. You're sitting there looking at the four-way stop, right? And then all of a sudden the land moves or shifts a little bit and this big hole opens up because there was a big pocket of space under there we didn't know about. And it could happen anywhere.
And this woman, her car was right there. And all of a sudden, like, one side of it, like, went down. And she was in there with, like, her little baby. I would freak out. And luckily, some firemen were in the area and came and, you know. What did you freak out? I would freak out. Got them out of the car. But it's in that really busy area of College Avenue, right under the bridge where you walk over. Oh, yeah. I mean, right there by SDSU. Oh, yeah. Right by where I used to go to school. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Well, traffic looking better in our freeways as this commute winds down. Still going to find a tough ride, though, on Northbound 5, coming off the 8 freeway up to Mission Bay. Crews are still working on an accident where a car went down the embankment on the North 805 ramp to Northbound 15. Possible delays there. That's causing Westbound 94 a little bit slow at the 805 still as well. South 15 looking pretty good, but there is a new accident just past Carmel Mountain Road clearing, so watch for maybe a minor delay there as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. What's up, Johnny? Two quick things, man. One, thanks for all the info about Sleep Train, man. I just bought mine yesterday. You got a Sleep Train mattress? Dude, just yesterday. Sleep Comfort, man. Oh, you got the Select Comfort. Yeah, the Select Comfort, man. I slept for 13 hours, and I've never done that before. Oh, my God, dude. And I'm telling you, like, I wake up to, listen, it's a good thing, but it's also a bad thing because you're not going to want to get out of bed. You get on one of those mattresses, you don't want to get out of bed.
They are so damn comfortable. That's great, dude. And they take your old set out and all that? Yep. Yep. That's what they do. That's awesome. Thank you very much, man. Mikey Show. With a Mikey moment. Ladies and gentlemen, the news is my wife, Rebecca, and I are pregnant. Oh, my God. It's a baby boom. Baby boom. It's a baby boom. It's a baby boom. Oh, gosh. Yes. Wow. I don't even know. Did you guys plan it? I don't even know. You boys. And my wife is on the line right now. Hi, honey. Hi, sweetie. Tell everybody the rest of the news. Well, we're having twins. Oh, my God. They're multiple. This is insane. They are multiple. Hey, Brad Pitt and Angelina, come on. To the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Now with What's Up in Your World.
This is the Mikey Show 360. 360 is where we talk about everything that's hot and what's going on right now, but the conversation you guys are having is a lot better. Thank you. Mike, don't let Ashley talk about this. Thank you. Ashley, Eddie, and Sky, was Rob in on it? No, he doesn't participate. Cindy was getting in on it. Cindy was talking about it a little bit. Right. Cindy, formerly known as Quimby, who still keeps that mic on when she's talking on that phone. Well, you know, whatever. It happens. They were talking about the best Disney movies ever. Of all time. Yeah. Mulan. But we were not. Number one. Mulan. Number one. Mulan. Number one. And then one. We are not including Pixar films. No, that's too crazy. Because that would just blow our minds. It just throws everything. So we can't even go there. As a 38-year-old man, I thought it was offensive they weren't including any of the classics. Like, Cinderella wasn't even in the conversation. Bambi. Bambi, not even in the conversation. No, that's a downer. That movie is a downer. Where are we with Lady and the Tramp?
Yes. Awesome. Where are we? It's in the top ten, but I don't think it's making top five. I agree. We got Mulan, then we got Little Mermaid, then we got Lion King, then we got Aladdin. Mulan's like with Pocahontas. Terrible. We've all agreed number one is Beauty and the Beast and number two is Lion King. Beauty and the Beast is number one. Yes, Beauty and the Beast was a fantastic film. Everybody over 35 years old is screaming at their radio. No, you're wrong. You're not going to include any of the classics. Well, Beauty and the Beast is kind of a classic. Yeah, Lady and the Tramp. Little Mermaid is way up there. It's up there. Yeah. It's a goodie. Sword in the Stone. I'm a fan of it. No, I'm a fan of it. No, I'm a fan of it. No. Goodie, Pinocchio, save you. That's a classic. Sword in the Stone, numero uno. No. Dumbo, Snow White. No, Dumbo, no Snow White. No, no, no. The Three Cavalleros. Really? Yes! What? Really? Yes!
Don't duck, bro. That's that movie with Steve Martin and Martin Short. That's the three amigos. You're the worst and you're the worst. You're maybe the worst of all words. Jungle Book. No. That's top five. No. Jungle Book top five. Top five. And Fox and the Hound. Fox and the Hound is one of the most underrated Disney movies of all time. Okay. How do you decide an underrated Disney film? It had Corey Feldman as one of the voices. Oh, how many times? It's like a little kid Corey Feldman. So Corey Feldman is now deciding when it's the best movie of all time. You're the worst. Come on now. You don't get anything. Stupid. Beauty and the Beast. No. Lion King. Yes, I'll say. Little Mermaid. No, I'm not putting Little Mermaid as number three. Robin Hood. That's a chick. Disney movie. Text us. Oh, Sword in the Stone, please. Oh, Jungle Book. Jungle Book deserves to be there. That's a dude movie. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Tarzan, anyone? Oh, Bedknobs and Broomsticks. That doesn't count. That doesn't count. Peter Pan. We're talking pure animation. And for the record, Ashley just told Cindy to spit in her own face. What?
We're fighting. We are fighting. Can you imagine? Let me ask you guys a question. How long would it take if we put you all in a room and you had... to agree on the top five. You had to agree. You had to agree what they would say. You'd never leave the room. Ashley would die. The emperor's new groove in there anyway. Stop being so joking. You guys haven't mentioned Alice in Wonderland. No, no, no. Fantasia. Lilo and Stitch. Yeah! Stop it. We're trying to be serious. I am! Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty. Mary Poppins doesn't count. No, we need animation. Because it's pure, we're talking pure animation. Because she's British.
That's not why. So we got Mulan, and then we got Little Mermaid, and we got Dying King, and we got Aladdin, then Beauty and the Beast. And I will not allow 101 Dalmatians to be in the conversation. Oh, are you nuts? I don't like it. Here we go. I didn't even think of 101 Dalmatians. That's actually one that I saw as a kid. That's a top tenner. No, I refuse to let it be in there. Robin Hood? Anyone? Yes, dude. That was my favorite movie when I was a kid. It's okay. Love Robin Hood. Yes. I can't get off Jungle Book. You mentioned that, and I love that. I got my top five, so I'm done. No, we all have to agree. What's your top ten? I mean, your top five. In no particular order. You remember Hercules? No. What? Hercules. Will you? Why don't you guys remember these movies? You have to put them in an order. What do you mean? In no particular order, you dummy. You got to put it in an order. You got to rank them. The Aristocats. Oh, well, finals goes west. What? Okay. Fievel goes west. Hold on. Now a wrist. Where are we with the hunchback of Notre Dame? Please. That was a good one. Any clutter out of control. Demi Moore did a voice in that one. I don't care who does the voices, bro. You don't? Stop it. Swiss Family Robinson. Disney. No. That doesn't count. Why not? Animation only.
We got Mulan, and then we got the army. Mulan is nowhere. Mulan isn't in the conversation. Holy cow, you know what you forgot? What? Rescuers. Oh, yes. It doesn't have that classic feel. It doesn't have the wow factor. You guys are not mentioning in your conversations, you're talking about the wow factor. No Cinderella in your conversation. Were you a big Cinderella fan or something? What is it about Cinderella? I'm a Disney purist. Where are we with Peter Pan? Think about it. Charles has sent us his list. I'm leaning to top ten. Go, Charles. Number five, The Rescuers. Number four, Mulan. Number three, Beauty and the Beast. Number two, Aladdin. And number one, The Lion King. Who would put Mulan in their top five? You got problems. Emotional problems. You have emotional problems. You put Mulan as your favorite Disney film ever. Anybody for the great mouse detective. Oh, yeah.
I'm right with you. Let's wrap this thing up. Let's wrap this thing up. We're on a fight. Number five, Bambi. This is P1 Danielle. Number five, Bambi. Number four, Little Mermaid. Number three, Jungle Book. Number two, Beauty and the Beast. Number one, Lion King. Respectable list. I respect you. Respectable list. I don't like you, but I respect you. Don't want to hang out with you, but I respect you. I'm just saying. She put Bambi in the list. Who do you want to hang out with that? This says Skye and Ashley don't have Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty in their top five. What were these little girls' dreams? What happened to their childhood? Skye, Ashley, what's your problem? P1 Bridge. There's a creepy factor to those movies. I agree. And I watched them plenty, but I'm telling you, when I popped in Mulan, dude. Stop. Mulan was terrible. It was so good, I just never looked back. It's so good, Rob. Mulan was a film that's Christina Aguilera saying. Oh, so good. I can show you the world. Shining, glimmering. Fancy. Splendid. Anybody for Oliver and Company. Now that movie rocks. Yes.
Weirdo, you're reading my mind. You weirdo, you're reading my mind. That is awesome. Get out of my heart. Text us. Text Mikey at gmail.com. I want to hear what our program director, Shauna, would say about this. I don't know why. I love the rescuers down under. Down under was better than the first one. I can't believe the disrespect. Back to you guys for $101. That is unreal. I almost have a top ten. I need number ten. Just focus on the top five, bro. I've already got that. I'm trying to get number ten. Can we hear your top five? Sell me on ten. Oliver and Company. I already got that in there. American Tail. That's not Disney. What is that? What is it? Like Warner Brothers. I think she's right. Oh, wow. Oh, well. Talk about a terrorist. Good job, Cindy. Well.
Somebody wrote and texted and said, what about Toy Story? But that's Pixar. Pixar, we can't go there. If we go to Pixar, it completely changes the world. Stop. No, don't. Hey, Nemo, bro. Shark Tale. All dogs go to heaven. All dogs. Go to the prawn shop. The prawn shop. You're the best. So we got Mulan, right? And then we got Oliver and Company. And then we got Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Lion King. Just because you say it doesn't make it. No. Oh, okay. I'll do Lion King. It's number 10? I need to hear Rob's call five. The clear number two, one and two, are Beauty and the Beast and Lion King. Thank you. No one can dispute it. No one can dispute it. You can't dispute it. You can put it in either order. I won't be mad. I can show you the world. That's a lesson. Baby, come. I can show you the world. A scene from Mulan. This is Kill Bill. Wrong movie. I don't know why I Googled. I Googled the wrong things.
This is so boring. Get pumped up. What's the idea behind Mulan? Dude, it's so sick. She's like an Asian girl who wants to be like a samurai. She has to fight because her father's too weak because he's too old, so she pretends to be a man, and she goes and she fights. It's awesome. Then she meets Guy, balls and balls. Can we all agree that Pocahontas is the worst movie ever made by Disney? Done. Can we all agree? Done. Can we all just agree with that? I would say that. And then we can move on. And then we can move on. Yeah. I didn't say that. I need to invest myself into these films because this is what everyone tells me. You know, because, you know, I didn't have a childhood. Everybody tells me. Gotta watch them with Jake. They say, even though they're, you know, cartoons, they say you'll like them. Beauty and the Beast was nominated for Best Picture. Yeah, but that was trash. That was trash? Beauty and the Beast. How dare you? Yeah, that's great. Candlestick? Not about it. Gaston? Tell me how these movies translate to adults. How does it happen? Talk to me. It's a wonderful story. Beauty is on the inside, bro. It's on the inside. I can show you the world. Shining, shimmering. Laughing. Squeaking out a...
insides. No, this is taking a turn. On a magic carpet ride. A whole new world. I know that you are all a bunch of perverts. Robin Williams is annoying. See, that takes Aladdin down a notch right there. I disagree. Top five list from P1's six-foot chick. Oh, good. Number five, Lion King. Number four, Snow White. Number three, Little Mermaid. Number two, Robin Hood. Number one, Jungle Book. Oh, really? Beauty and Me is not even in the conversation. Yeah, yeah. Really? Lion King number five. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Grow another foot. Why don't you? You guys are selling me on Lion King. Beauty and Me. Oh, whatever. Belle is the best. Oh, she's gorgeous. Disney. She is gorgeous. Absolutely not. 100%. Who's better than Belle? The Little Mermaid when she became a woman. Did you hear her voice? Yeah, what about it? Yeah, she sang. So did Belle. Belle was trashy. Belle was naked for half that movie.
He's attacking him. Exactly. How did you say that about Belle? She was a classy swimsuit model. Belle is all class. Not like that tramp Jasmine. Oh, dude, that Jasmine. We can all agree on that. What? Please. Thank you. Please. I'm offended by all of you. Snow White. Overrated. Eat an apple. I agree. All right, a scene from Beauty and the Beast. Do it, Mike. I can show you. Stop it. How did you guys see Beauty and the Beast? When... When did it come out? How did you guys see it? We have parts. 91. Came out in 91. True as it can be. Who is that? Who is that? Barely even friends. Sky knows the words. Sky, how many times have you seen this? How many times have you seen Beauty and the Beast? 30.
Now, are you telling the truth? Is that true? Yes. I feel uncomfortable. Wow. How often? That means that you must just every once in a while just take it out. Well, I haven't watched it in a couple years, but when it first came out, I probably watched it once a month. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Wow. I have it, yeah, on VHS. Do you not have friends? Mikey Show. Mikey Show. I'm just asking. Hello. Hello? Yes. Is this Mikey? Yes, it is. Oh, awesome, dude. Hey. Disney's Treasure Planet. Oh, come on, bro. I've never even heard of that. What is that? Okay, that doesn't count. Treasure Planet. If you haven't heard of it, it doesn't count. I think you guys might be right about that. If you haven't heard of it, what is it? You know what I mean? Thank you, Mike. Oh, real quickly. 5,000 pounds of weed. They pulled it out of the ocean yesterday. Not yesterday, but over the past couple of days. And that is how this... topic started because we were talking off the air about the 5,000 pounds of weed that was thrown in the ocean by smugglers and the Coast Guard had to get it out. And I started singing Under the Sea. And that is how all of this started. Under the Sea. Darling, it's better. Down while it's better. This is the definitive top five. You can't say it. I'm going to give the drum roll. You're not even going to console me. This is my top five. You're not even going to console me. Absolutely not. Number five is Robin Hood.
Great movie. And it's animated. I apologize. He's a fox and his big little jaw is a bear. Very much like Baloo in number four, Jungle Book. Number three, the most underrated Disney movie of all time, Fox and the Hound. Number two, Lion King. Number one, Beauty and the Beast. The best list ever. Everybody deal with it. I don't want to. Sky looks gorgeous today. She's got on a headband. She looks great in a headband. I can't get past my top three. Lovely. Number three is Little Mermaid. Who is Lion King? And number one is Beauty and Beast. You're all about the 90s. You get out of the 90s. I love the 90s. We get it, Soundgarden. Okay, come on. Thank you. Soundgarden. Where's Pinocchio? Let's go. No. No Pinocchio. What? What are you afraid of? That crazy circus scene? You scared? He's made of wood, Eddie. Okay? I can't believe you. No, no, no. Ash, give your list. I got my list. I got my list. First of all, we got Mulan. That's number one. Number one's Mulan. Number two is Oliver and Company. Number three is Lion King. Number four is Little Mermaid. And number five is Aladdin. Thank you. Here we go. This is my favorite Disney movie. Right here. This does sound like a Disney movie. I will give her that.
She was on American Idol. I can show you the world. You want NASCAR tickets? If you do, call us right now. 570-1053. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going racing. Yeah, watch Double J do it again. I'm doing good. You know how Tone Deaf works, right? Yes, I do. You a NASCAR fan?
Huge, yes. Okay, I'm going to play you a clip. Let the whole thing play before you try to tell me what it is, and then when it's done, give me title or artist to win. Here we go. Watch your time go right out the window, try to hold on, but didn't even know I wasted it all just to watch you go. I kept everything inside, and even though I tried, it all fell apart. What it meant to me, will I eventually be a memory of a time when I tried so hard and got so far. How about that, P1 Sam? Wow. That was Lincoln Park. That is correct. I can show you. No, Eddie. No. That was not that. It was the same song. It was the same song. Are they still popular, Lincoln Park? Yeah. Uh-huh. Heck yeah. Hey, P1 Sam, look at you. Dude. You're going racing. Who's your driver? What's that? Who's your driver? Who is it? Dale Jr. There you go, brother. Dale Jr. You're going to see him in person. Hang on the line. Hang on the line. I'll tell you, that's fun. Even Skye would like it. I know. Skye, I'm telling you. She's got a face like somebody had a turd in front of her. I'm telling you, Skye, you'd like it. I don't think so much. P1 George is on the line. Hi, George. How you doing? George, how you doing? Good. I'm doing good. You? I'm good. I'm going to play you a clip. When it's done, give me a title or artist, and you win. It's that easy. Sounds good. All right. Think a few years back. Are you ready? Yep. Don't you worry if you can.
Sexy. Let that music move your feet. It's the rhythm of the island. What is the spoiler? If you want to do the bunker, you've got to listen to the beat. Oh, my God. Sexy. What is that accent? Like, you know, picture South Florida, Eddie. You know what I'm saying? Sexy accent. It brings me right there. I feel like I'm in Hungary. Hey, George. What do you think that was? I really have no idea, but I'm going to guess Britney Spears. No. Oh. No. It's Gloria Estefan. Yeah. Sexy, actually. Oh. It's back to what I was thinking. Come on now. Shake it. Oh, that's bad music. Whoa! I apologize. I apologize. I can show you the world. That's good music. Eddie! Do you want truth? Yes. How are you? Good. How are you? I'm good, man. You want to go to NASCAR? Definitely. All right. The only thing standing between you and 700 horsepower per car is Ashley singing. Oh, and that's a big...
That's a big leap right there. That's right. I'm going to play you a clip. When it's done, you give me title or artist, you go. If not, so sorry. Here we go. All right. Easy. That was great. Oh, my gosh. It's like Braille on the air. Do you want truth? What do you think that was? I believe it was Godsmack. You were very close. You were close. I'll give you one more shot. Go ahead. What is it? You're close. Do you know the song? Yeah, it's that kind of band. Yeah, I know the song. What's the song? Oh, Disturbed. That is correct. I knew you knew it. You got it. There you go. Because it sounded so similar. Yeah, it was like tearing the record. Are you out, Rob? I just wish I liked Disturbed. That's true. Love Ashley's rendition, but Disturbed? Hey, Truth, you're gone, dude. You're gone to the races. Thanks for that second chance. You got it. Hang on. Boogity, boogity. Disturbeds are too sensitive. You're sensitive. No, they really are. P1 Kirsten. Hello. Kirsten, we're going to go a few years back with you as well. Kirsten, you like NASCAR?
A little bit. My husband likes it more. There you go. This is for him, okay? Don't blow it. Bring it home. Think back, you know, I'm going to give you the era. Think back 80s. Okay. And give it your best shot. Let the whole clip play before you give me anything. Here we go. It's not the things you do that tease and wound me bad, but it's the way you do the things you do to me. What do I have that I have not given you yet? There's good stuff here. Octomom facing eviction. What? Can you believe this? See you later. This is brutal. From her mom? Yeah. Well, so she lives with her mom and her brand new eight babies are supposed to be coming home in about six weeks to join the already six babies that are at home. But her mom's house is facing foreclosure.
What? Her mom hasn't made a mortgage payment since May and owes over $23,000. Oh, wow. Whoa. So they just, the city or whatever, just filed the paperwork, the bank, I should say, to foreclose on the property. So they have just started the beginning phases of foreclosure on their home. This is the Octomom's grandmother talking about this deal about Angelina Jolie. Oh. which was something that my wife had brought up to me as a possibility. I said, I don't know. When the story first came out, she goes, do you think she looks like Angelina? I said, kind of. She said, well, think about it. There's the fascination with the kids, like Angelina had, tons of kids, unmarried, like Angelina, and she's trying to look like her. Well, here's a grandmother talking about it. She has been compared to Angelina Jolie. Wait a second. Ashley's been compared to William Hung. Oh, that's true. That doesn't mean anything. Does she admire Angelina Jolie or want it to be like her? No, she never mentions celebrities. She's really not into that kind of thing. That's a lie. She does mention celebrities, right? She wrote Angelina a fan mail. Yeah. What? I read that too. Really? Yeah. Just saying how much she admired her? Yes. People think that she, you know, admires her.
But I don't think so. People say that she even had plastic surgery to look like her. No, no, I don't think she ever did. No, she gained 130 pounds. So that makes a difference in the facial features in her wherever, you know, when you gain 130 pounds. Goodness, I'd hate this to happen to me. I probably would change a lot, too. When she got pregnant, she gained 130 pounds. Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye. Whatever. It's a lot. Buy your own damn friends. I don't know that she needs to. Pass on those. Yeah. Let's see. What else? Oh, okay. So, Sky, explain the guy that jumped off the Coronado Bridge and, you know, he killed a police dog in the process. Yeah, so you'll probably remember this story from, it was New Year's Eve Day 2007, so going into New Year's, you know, 2008. And the guy had been drinking all day up in North County and decided he wanted to kill himself. And so he led police on a chase from the North County all the way to the Coronado Bridge, pulled his car over on the Coronado Bridge, got out and was preparing to jump off the bridge when...
One of the police officers sent his dog, which was named Stryker, after the guy. Stryker latched onto the guy's arm and he jumped off the bridge. And the dog died, but the guy actually survived the fall off the Coronado Bridge. So what's the deal? They sentenced him? Yeah, he was finally sentenced yesterday and was sentenced to just about four years in prison. Wow. Yeah. Topic change? Yeah. Mike Kicks. Good morning, Mike. You want to talk to the crew, right? Yep, yep. Bring it. Hey, Eddie, how do you like how you try to make it all original with the plane ride going over there? Like, Saeed was the one handcuffed and... Yeah, let me explain a little bit about what you're talking about. I do not understand. Lost last night was fantastic. I am back. They moved forward, which is all I wanted them to do. I felt like they were treading water for the entire season. Now they're moving.
Now they're moving forward. And the Oceanic Six, plus a couple other guests, they were headed back to the island. They talked to Daniel Faraday's mother about how to get back to the island. And she told him, well, you have to basically recreate the plane ride. that you guys did to get on the island in the first place. Whoa. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Yeah, and so everybody came together and did it, and they got back on the island. Well, three of them we know for sure. Kate. Jack and Hurley. But what's weird is we didn't see like a plane crash. All of a sudden they like wake up in the jungle. So and they're wondering where's the plane? Where are the other people that were on the plane? What's up with all that? So I think next week is going to be an awesome episode. I'm real excited. It was a really good episode. And there's a lot of stuff that happened that we don't know what happened that I'm sure they're going to dole out. Like Ben, he all of a sudden was all beat up. We don't know why. Kate just gave up Aaron.
And said, all right, fine, I'll go back to the island. Yeah, we don't know who has Aaron. We don't know who has Aaron or why she decided that. I think I have something on that. Oh, yeah. Kate, what are you doing here? Are you still going back to the island? Yeah, I think I am. Questions. If you want me to go with you, never ask me that question again. You will never ask me about Aaron. Do you understand, Jack? Then they did it. Yeah, Mike. So check this out, Mike. They have sex. So I think that Kate wants to get pregnant before she goes back onto the island because if you get pregnant on the island, you die. Yeah. Well, it's also interesting what the guy on the phone was saying, that they're recreating things like someone had to be in handcuffs, so there has to be a pregnant woman on board. There has to be a dead person on board. And I believe that Charlie was the one who told Hurley to get on the plane. Yeah, because Hurley just shows up at the airport. You guys always like this. What? We got a lost guru that's on the line that says that he knows a lot of stuff. Well, then please. Well, yeah, let's see. P1 slide.
I'm here. You know stuff. You know a lot of stuff about Lost. You know spoiler stuff or do you know stuff from your own theories? I'm going to give you anything that I know up to and including the current episode, but no spoilers because I don't do spoilers myself. Thank you. I appreciate that. I like you. I refuse to do spoilers. Okay. So close to the end, why would you do spoilers? Thank you. Yeah, please. So what do you got? Well, if you give me any question that you want up to and including the current episode, I can probably answer it. Who was the other Indian dude that was on the plane that, you know, likes that? I don't know that guy yet. I know that he was the interrogator in Three Kings, and he's probably going to play a major part. His name in the show is Caesar. You don't know anything. I knew that much. Sky? Okay, so how do you think that Hurley knew that everyone was leaving on the plane? Well, he's carrying a guitar, so I'm going to assume, and assumptions, of course, are non-specific, but I'm going to assume that Charlie had something to do with that. Oh, my gosh. The last time was Charlie. I love that. And he's seen Charlie before, so it's got to be Charlie at some point. Wow. I agree with that. I like that a lot. Charlie. Charlie. Thank you very much. That's P1 Slide. P1 Fritz. Yes, hello. What did you want to add?
I wanted to add, if you guys watched the last episode, they had that one canoe they found. They had a water bottle, and they were looking at the logo of the water bottle. And on the plane, it was the same logo that was on the plane. Shut your dirty mouth. I like you. That is a huge observation. I like you. That is huge. Wow. That's very cool. P1HB, I love when people catch little things. Well, my question is, I don't think the plane crashed, though. I don't know where the water bottle came from and all the beers, but the plane, I don't think the plane crashed because they flashed, and I think they all disappeared, kind of like Jen did with Danielle, because he was standing in front of her, and then he just disappeared. So they got, like, sucked into a flash when they were flying over? But wouldn't the rest of the people also? On the plane? No, because when, like, with Danielle, when they flashed, she didn't disappear with them. It's just all the original people. Because she's dead. Eddie. Well, she is. So the Oceanic Six got flashed out of the plane, but nobody else. Yeah. This is interesting. What about the pilot? What about Ben? And you know who the pilot was, right, Eddie? Well, yeah. Okay, I'm just saying. What am I, Jason? I'm just saying. Oh, boy. Hey, guys, Jason. What up? Hey, I was wondering, why do you think Jen's dressed up in the Dharma outfit?
That's weird. Something's going on. Like, he got flashed back, and he's, like, doing something with them. Yeah, that's why I think they must have landed in a flashback somewhere, because Jin's in that bus, you know, in that old bus, and in the suit, in the Dharma suit. I was thinking that they landed in the 70s, though, when Dharma first got there. Yeah, that's a good theory. Okay, take it easy, guys. Thank you, brother. P1 Mark. Yeah, hello? Go ahead, you're on the air. Yeah, I know who the Indian guy, well. I remember him from one of the last episodes. I don't remember. What is he from? Okay. Remember John Locke had a dream that he was in an airport crawling around. His leg was broken. He was crawling around on the escalator and stuff. And this was last season. Okay. And he's seen Jack and Kate and Charlie and Hurley and everybody. And then he's seen the Indian guy getting on that plane. Really? I'll have to go back and look at that. I don't remember that. I think the lady earlier talking about The Flash, that's exactly what happened. But last season, the Indian guy made an appearance in John. Wow. Is that good stuff? What a great show. Yeah, and that one guy knew nothing. Leave him alone. All right, brother. Thank you, man. You guys have a good one. Thanks, man. You too.

First off, I just wanted to say congrats to you and your wife on the twins. Thank you, bro. I wanted to check with Rob and see how that Dunkin' Donuts coffee worked out for him that I left off. Awesome. Thank you, man. And the correct answer for that Disney list is Aladdin, Jungle Book, Robin Hood, The Lion King. Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland. Hey, hey, I like that. I give it a top ten, but number one. That is queer. Wow. No way, dude. That movie is... You like Beauty and the Beast, man? The Beast was only cool when he was mean, and then he turns all gay. Yeah. You have a cold heart, sir. Thank you, brother. Yeah. So he dances in tights. He won too much blood. P1, too much blue eyeshadow. What's up? You guys are talking about the Disney movies and which one's good and which one's that and this. And then Eddie was saying that Belle's the hottest Disney character. Well, I regret to inform you that Jessica Rabbit is the hottest Disney character. We're not even throwing her in the mix. We're talking pure animation. Jessica was animated.
Pure animation. I don't know, actually. I didn't bring that up. Come on, guy. P1 Kick? Yeah, that's me. Go ahead, bro. You're on the air. Mikey, thank you so much. Every time you have kids, apparently we have kids. I found out that I was going to be a father on my birthday, and that was February 10th. How cool. Wow. Every time Mikey has kids, apparently we do, too. So I don't know what's going on there. Uh-oh. Something's in the water. There you go. Thanks, bro. Congratulations. Everything to you is good news for you. That's great. Thank you, dude. We're excited about it. And today, hopefully, we'll get to hear a heartbeat. Or two hands. Two of them. We're hoping. Yeah, we're looking for the sex of our baby. I think it's March 13th is when we go in. Right on, bro. We're not that far behind you. You're having a boy. Oh, don't say that. We already had a boy. We're promising for a girl, so all the family members... Well, I understand that, but you're going to have a boy, unfortunately. But you don't know. I do. I'm partially psychic. Ashley says that Eddie and Debra are having a girl, and she says that me and Rebecca are both having... that we're having twin girls. Yeah. That's her guess. She doesn't know, though. No, I do know. You're having a boy and a girl. Definitely. Yeah, please. P1, Adam, are you there? Hey, Mikey, how's it going? Good, bro.
You guys were talking about, you know, how you thought things when you were a kid that didn't really happen. Yeah. I created one for my son. We went to Disneyland and they got that whole Jedi training academy. Oh, it's the best, dude. That looks pretty cool. It is the best. He wanted to know if it was real or not. So he wanted to know what powers there were. So I told him, you know, you could do the force push, you know, where you hold your hand out and the guy flies back. Well, you know, I did that a couple of times where it backed up when he did it. And he thought it was the coolest thing ever. But then he kept doing it like all the time throughout the day. And I didn't want to have to keep jumping backwards every time he put up his hands. So I told him, oh, if it didn't work this time, it's only used for good and not for fun. That's awesome. Very smart. Yeah, when he gets in his first fist fight at school. That's right. I'm like, what are you doing? Hey, dude, thanks for the call, man. We appreciate it. Yeah, so tomorrow the only blind movie reviewer in the country will be on the show. That's cool. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next today. She's got The Lost and Found. She's going to be playing songs you haven't heard in a long time. And so you're going to want to tune in and call in and request some of those, too. They're fun. You're here tomorrow morning at 5. Mikey Show's out late.
