One of these days, I'm going to have them let me redesign everything. I'm going to redesign the whole studio. I'm going to have it set up in this way that is so space-age and futuristic, and all other morning DJs will want to copy it for its efficiency. You know what I'm saying? Welcome to the program. It's about 6 o'clock in the morning, three minutes after 6, and... Here's what we're going to do. Open the phone lines to immediately. 570-1053 is the number. Mikey Show's in here live on a Friday. And you can text us again. All you do is put this in your phone, your cell phone, and save it. So you just hit this whenever you want to text us. It's just an email address, but it comes directly to us when you text. It's textmikey at gmail.com. Textmikey at gmail.com. Textmikey. at gmail.com. Five people on the show. Myself, Eddie, Sky, Ashley, and Boston Rob. Sky looks awesome today. Whoa. Wow. Thank you. I accept. Eddie. CPR. No, no, no. Let's do this. Eddie, how are you liking your girl today? She's looking sweet and juicy. She's looking juicy. You know what I'm saying? Juicy couture. Thank you. That's right. Welcome to the program. Glad to have you here.
Our phone number again, 570-1053. We'd love to talk to you on our phone lines and text us, too. The text number, textmikey at gmail.com. Gmail? That's right. Yeah. Somebody had to. Somebody needed to. It needed to be done. It needed to be done. Also, two listeners in the studio today. Oh, hello. Hello to P1 Pill Paste. She did not win. She did not win the P1 trivia, but she still got to come in, which is nice. And P1 Art, who won, is in here. And welcome to P1 Art. Nice to have you. What's the food today, Ash? Divine possibilities. There you go. They're the best. You're welcome. So they're going to come in here and bring some sandwiches.
When you win P1 trivia, you get to come in here, got a catered breakfast. You get to hang out with us. It's pretty nice. And you get a backstage pass, a laminated backstage pass to hang out. It's very cool. So, yeah, jump on the phones. Give us a call. Big story is that the Post is apologizing for the cartoon of Obama. There it is. Are they admitting guilt? They're kind of apologizing. No, are they? No, yeah, no. What are they saying? They do specifically say, well, if you don't know, if you hadn't heard, we talked about it yesterday morning. The New York Post had this cartoon that showed police with a smoking gun who had just shot a chimpanzee and had the caption, they'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill. So some people were upset thinking that they were referring to President Obama and the picture of a monkey and it's racist. Okay, some people are upset. So the Post said, quote, to those who were offended by the image, we apologize, end quote, which is nice. So that technically is an apology. Sure. But then they go on to say that they view that the longstanding opponents of the New York Post saw this cartoon as an opportunity to pay back. And to them, no apology is due. Well, you know.
Can't you say to that, can't you go, well, hey, guys, there's a lot of black folks that were offended by it. Are you saying that all black folks that were offended by it were opponents of the post? Is that what you're saying, guys? They're saying that some people weren't really upset by this cartoon, but they took this as an opportunity to go after the post because deep down they really don't like the post. So those people do not get an apology. Are they saying like another, like the Times went out, you know what I mean? Any opponents, which sounds like they're speaking to a very specific group of people. But what's so stupid about it is they're discounting all of the just regular folks. Regular black folks that are offended by it. But wasn't that apology in the beginning addressing, right? Well, there's the initial apology, but then they make a statement which kind of takes the apology back for some people. But if you're an opponent.
So they're saying like, if you don't like me, then. It's almost like, so you know how I'm out on Fox News because they're really conservative. So say Fox News does something that offends me and I complain about it. And they're like, well, to everybody who was offended, you know, we're sorry. But to Sky, not so much. You know what I mean? It would kind of be like that. Well, try not to be their opponent so much. Why would you apologize to your opponent? Yeah. There's obviously battles going on. Are you guys really saying this right now? Check it out. Give me a break. So, of course, Al Sharpton released a statement regarding the apology. He's an opponent. Yeah, I think he's probably considered an opponent. He probably is. Yes, he is. I didn't know. He said, quote, though we think it's the right thing for them to apologize to those they offended, they seem to want to blame the offense on those who raised the issue rather than take responsibility for what they did, end quote. Is he going to let it go, you think? Good job, Elle. I'm not sure. I don't know about that. P1 Colton. Colton, are you there? What's up, brother? What's going on? Not much, man. I was calling in because I'm in the military, and we were listening to the show yesterday morning. We were listening to you about it.
I have a lot of guys here who are in my platoon who are blocked as well, and even they thought it was ridiculous that the comment, if you look at it, Obama didn't sign the stimulus package. I think it's ridiculous for there to be an outrage over the, I mean, I understand the longstanding relationship. No, he did sign it. I think what you're trying to say is he's not the sole. He didn't write it. He didn't write it. Yeah. That's actually correct, yeah. But we had a lot of guys. I don't know if it's maybe the military. They're a little more desensitized to that kind of stuff. But there was really nobody angry. There was actually a couple guys I know. who are upset that the New York Post even released an apology about it because to them, that's almost admitting like they did something, which obviously, you know, it doesn't sound like they're apologizing. They're admitting that they did anything wrong. I think it's okay to apologize for hurting people. If somebody got hurt, I think that's okay. Yeah, you never go wrong with that. Even if it's unintentional, if you know that you've hurt someone, even if it's unintentional, I always think it's okay to say, I'm sorry. Like, you know, for instance, if we got on the phone, And I said, hey, what's up, bud? I haven't done anything wrong. But let's say that you tell me, dude, it really bothers me when you call me bud. I didn't know it. Now I know it. And hey, by the way, I'm really sorry I hurt you. I didn't mean to. I just say I call everybody bud. Sorry, bud. You know what I mean? You're apologizing in the statement. That's all you got to do. You see what I'm saying there? I think a little too...
I don't really think there's anything wrong. I definitely don't think a prestigious newspaper like the New York Post was putting anything blatantly racist in their article. I don't either, but I think they were looking for trouble. I will say that. I think they knew it was going to stir up some stuff. They're not stupid, and I think they knew that they were going to stir some stuff up, and they did. Mission accomplished. Definitely. Anyway, hey, thanks for the call, man. I love the show. Thanks, guys. Thank you, brother. Let's see. P1 Jimmy? Yeah. What's up? Hey, this is Jamie. I was trying to call in. Thank you, buddy. Hey, bud. Listen, I'm going to explain the rules of being a P1. A P1, they call in, they get to the point, they turn the radio down, they don't cuss. Now, that guy had two out of three, but unfortunately couldn't get to the point. You got to get right to that point. You got to spare us the formalities, as they say. Otherwise, we have to. We have to move on. P1HB. Hello, everyone. What's up? I wanted to call in and just thank Quimby for answering phones this whole time. She's done an awesome job. Yeah, how long has Cindy been doing that for us? A couple of weeks. A couple of weeks? Yeah, like three. Oh, my gosh, Cindy. Has it really been that long? I'm going to miss you guys.
Yeah, now we've got to find somebody that will do it for free. Because the company refuses to pay her part-time hours. We've got to get somebody to do it for free. I appreciate that Queen Bee screened that phone call and cut it through. No, I appreciate it. You genuinely appreciate that? I appreciate that. What is the appreciation part of it? How do you appreciate it? I can appreciate somebody screening somebody that's giving you a compliment and make sure you get on the air. I appreciate that. Yeah, Rob was good at that. Rob was good. You trained her well, Rob. Make sure those go right through. I'm going to go spit in my own face now. That always works. That was Ashley's recommendation to you yesterday, Cindy. That's good stuff. Thank you for the call, HP. You're welcome. Say hi to my son, HW. That's right. Our text number is textmikey at gmail.com. I don't really know if I should call it a number. I should just say our text thing. Our text email? Yeah, text email. I don't know. The way to text us is textmikey at gmail.com. I don't know what I think about TMZ releasing pictures of Rihanna's battered face. Send me the link. It's tmz.com. Ashley, you can't handle it. It's three letters. It's not that hard. Ashley, don't look at it. Yeah, because I saw this picture on TMZ last night. You know, I always check TMZ before I go to bed. TMZ last night, I saw this picture and I was like.
Oh, I wonder if this is real or not because there have already been Photoshopped pictures released of Rihanna. And then it turns out that they're Photoshopped. So when I went to bed last night, I was like, yeah, it's probably just another Photoshopped one. Oh, this one doesn't look Photoshopped. No, and the LAPD has released a statement regarding this photo. What do they say? Well, the LAPD is launching an investigation. on how TMZ acquired this photo, an internal investigation, and said that this is serious misconduct by somebody inside the force who obviously had to leak this picture because they're the only people who had it, and when they find out who did this, there will be penalties, including termination. You suppose a person got paid for it? Oh, yeah. Yeah. A person got paid to leak it? That picture's probably worth a lot of money. Wow. So they had to weigh whether or not, you know, it was worth their job, I guess. If they get found out, yeah. So the picture shows Rihanna with serious, you know, contusions to her forehead, below her eyes, cuts on her lips. Her lips are all swollen. It's not a pretty sight. Yeah, so we'll see. And, you know, of course, if you for some reason hadn't heard, this happened right before the Grammys. Rihanna allegedly attacked by her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown.
So these are the first pictures we're getting to see of that. Not cool. P1 Brandon. Hey, guys. What's going on? These are the topics available for you this morning, by the way. The post in Obama, Rihanna, and the leak to TMZ. And anything that you'd like. You can call in about anything you want to right now because it's open phones. Go ahead, Brandon. I listened to XM on the way down before you guys start, and I listened to the Opie and Anthony show. What I'm talking about right now is their last show, and they're not going to be back on Monday. Why is that? No furniture, no paper supplies. All those pictures are taken down. What? Why do they think that? Because they're owned by the same company that is 97.1, and all they're changing formats today, and it's either going to be them or another radio station in New York that's changing formats at 5 o'clock, too. Well, I can tell you this. I can tell you that, well, the company is CBS, right? I believe they're CBS. And I can tell you this.
Not every CBS radio station is changing their format today in the country. Sorry, go ahead. Yeah, nationwide, all CBS stations will not be changing their format. I can tell you that right off the bat. And they're also on satellite radio. So maybe their building that they actually sit in is flipping, but I'm sure there's a million other buildings that would be happy to have them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know? Oh, yeah. No, they said it's 97.1 in L.A. You know, that's changing at 5 o'clock. And then there's one other radio station that CBS owns in New York. It's either C100 or another one. And so far, they think it's them because everything's been moved out of that office. Huh. Well, and 97.1 in Los Angeles is a talk station that's been there forever, man. I'm really surprised that they would be changing formats today. I know they've been there for a long time, and I think they've been successful. Well, they said Tom Likas was number one in his demo, and he had three years left on their contract, and they kicked him out.
Adam Carolla was doing all right, and then I think Frank and Heidi were number one, too, and they got rid of them. Hey, Cindy, what do you know? This is what I... Well, I can't hear myself. Okay. What's going on is 97.1 is like free FM up in L.A., and that has Adam Carolla, Danny Bonaduce, Heidi Frosty, and Frank, and Tom Likas. At 5 p.m., they're flipping formats to top 40, kind of like Jack FM. Really? And they're going to play 10,000 songs commercial free. Now, see, I thought that there was already a Jack FM in Los Angeles. Well, I guess they're making another one. Yeah, they're going to do another one, compete with it, and try to make it better. Yeah, it's all over the trades. They're calling it what? Amp. Amp? Oh, yeah. Amp Radio. And the same guy who programs 97.1 programs their station in New York. Huh. Yeah, it's crazy. And none of them have another station to go to right now. So Heidi Frosty and Frank are having a big drunk show today. They're going to drink the whole show and say goodbye to Elliot. Have they said, and thanks for the call, dude. I appreciate it. Thank you, Brandon. You know, radio is interesting to me. Oh, yeah. Have they said if all these different air personalities are going to get paid, they're going to pay their contracts and then say, see you later?
All their contracts are different. They're not saying like there's a radio industry website. It didn't say what's going to happen with their contracts. But I know Heidi Frosty and Frank said they're going to maintain their own personal website and let them know if they move on. Because I picked up some of their podcasts last night and they've been talking about it since Monday. So all of those folks, I don't know if they're going to move on to. another business or another town or whatever, but it's kind of unclear where everybody's going right now. All those personalities that you've heard mentioned, they're all talented. They're all talented people, and so they get jobs. Everybody will end up... Getting jobs. Well, and what's weird is, you know, like we were saying about Opie and Anthony, a lot of them are on in other markets and even on on satellites. So they they got to keep their commitment to those people. Yeah. And that's what I'm sure they'll do. They will. It will be business as usual for them. It's just like turning a switch off. Yeah. Right. They'll continue to go to the same studios that they're in. They'll continue to broadcast out of the same studios that they're in. Most likely.
And the only difference will be that at that station in New York City, they just won't be heard on that stick, that signal anymore. So it's just kind of a bit for them in a way to be like, oh, we don't know if we'll be back on Monday. No, no, no. For them, it's a big deal to their New York listeners. And it's a big deal to them to lose that market. New York or L.A.? New York. Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I thought he said, too. And maybe Opie and Anthony are on Los Angeles. Yeah. But I thought what he was talking about. Yeah, we're talking about Los Angeles. Yeah. If they lose their L.A. station, it's a big deal to them. It's the second largest radio market in the country. Oh, so they're specifically talking to their L.A. listeners, even though people are hearing them say that on XM and in New York and whatever. Yeah, which is, I'm sure, a big deal. I mean, for them, it's a ton of dough. Yeah, because that guy said he was listening to them on the satellite. But they're only speaking to their L.A. listeners, and he's thinking he's not going to be able to hear them on Monday. I think that that guy. Is probably interpreting it. Oh, could be, could be. He's probably thinking to himself, you know. That's a crazy move though, man. Yeah, sure. You know. And we have the same agent they do. I'm sure he's flipping out.
Yeah, I'm sure he answers the phone. No, I don't think he would answer our calls today. I can't answer your calls today. Bob, we need to talk to you. Oh, you guys are great. You say that every time. You guys are great. I wish I had more time to talk with you and work with you on your wonderful careers. Because you're such bright. Up and coming stars. Just complimenting us isn't really enough. We need some help. Freddie, I've told people in the industry that you are wonderful. It's Eddie. Oh, I always do that. I am so sorry. I don't feel very special. Probably have a busy day today, but where are your clients, too? Oh, I am so worried about. Opie and Anthony and my future with Opie and Anthony. But we're not here to listen to you talk about that. We're humans too. Oh, you guys, this is the Markey show, right? You guys are great. You're really wonderful. I'll send you guys some sake. Well, that's a step up from the fruit basket. I'll take the sake. Bob sends an annual fruit basket. Yes.
Delicious. That's right. Cajun pretzels. That's right. Well, what happens is that you dwindle down your supply of Cajun pretzels throughout the year, and then Bob sends you another basket, and then you're good to go. Yeah, and then you're all restocked. Let's see. P1 Jerry. What's up, Mikey? What's going on, dude? Hey, man. I just wanted to congratulate you on the twins, bro. What are you, a baby-making factory over there? Apparently. Eddie's sperm are very strong, and my sperm are very strong. Yeah, we had an ultrasound yesterday, and everything was good. That's awesome. We were happy, man. You're crazy, dude. You're crazy. I mean, you see how you get with Ashley and Boston Rob. When Zep was there with the kids, now all of a sudden you're going to have your own at home? I think that it was preparation. I agree. Mike's starting his own show at home. It's for toddlers. I really think we've prepared you to be an amazing father. I don't know if there's anything they can throw at you that you haven't already seen. So how were the heartbeats? The heartbeats were great, and it was just such a trip that they were different.
You know, one's heartbeat was 167 beats per minute, and the other one was 163. And so were you hearing them both at the same time, kind of in like a different rhythm? No, no, we didn't hear them. We saw them. So it measured the beats by viewing them. Oh, so you didn't actually hear it like in the movies where they hear the heartbeat for the first time. Well, you can ask. You can ask to hear them if you want. We couldn't, though, because there's two beats going on at the same time. Really? They can't move it? They can't move it around? Uh-uh. It would have sounded like a Neil Peart solo. It was really weird, though, because they definitely had two distinct personalities. One of them was very active, and its little jaw was moving open and closing. And the other one was just chilled out, kind of moved a little bit. What up? Just kind of like, whatever. That's interesting. So there's going to be two real different kids. Oh, that's cool, man. Love it!
It was good to hear him say everything was cool because we stress, man. Oh, dude. Those ultrasounds and sonograms are really anxiety, man. Because you always hope for the best, but you just never know until you see everything's cool and you hear the heartbeat and stuff like that. It's freaky, man. It's freaky because if there's anything wrong, that's where they tell you. And so you're just like, please let it be all right. And we're leaving and it's taken her a while to just wind down from the... Her body getting physically all jacked up for, you know. It's stressful. Stressful. P1 Froggy, what's up? Hey, I'm actually just calling about the UCSD cancer thing that was talked about yesterday when the lit department, you know, caused more cancer. This was such a trip, man. Yesterday, Sky, review that and what you were saying about it. Well, yeah, they found a cancer cluster at the UCSD lit department. And basically they said there were like eight women who have got breast cancer who work in that building since 2000. You can say the word, Sky. You can give it a shot. It's the lit department. And since 2000, and they say that's about four to five times the California average of cancer. So they're investigating the building to see what may potentially be.
So, Froggy, what were you calling to say? the email address, or not email address, just the online address, if you would put it out over the air. Nope. I ain't got a dog in that fight, lady. I don't have a dog in that fight, and I don't want to get involved in it. Listen, if you want to, I'm sure you can Google, figure out how to do that stuff, but I think it's wise to stay out. And? There's a P1 website where people can post whatever they want. Absolutely. It's p1site.com and they have a message board and they allow people to post things on there and P1s go there and support those things. For sure. I mean, hey, listen, don't get me wrong. I mean, I'm against cancer. Yeah. It's just that, you know, I think as a responsible broadcaster, you kind of just go, okay, that's, you know, listen, if you got that fight, go for it, man.
Go for it for sure. I'd go to P1's site and sign that position. You can put it on your face space, too. That's right. That works real good. Put it on your wall. You can tag people. I don't have a wall. And you wall it, and then you tag it. I don't have a wall. Start a thread. That's right. P1 history teacher. How you doing, Mikey? You want to talk some UFC with Eddie? I do. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Tomorrow. Well, no, that's not Eddie. That's Ashley. That's Ashley. I know we get confused a lot. I've been calling her Eddie. Go ahead. Sometimes she thinks she's me. That's right. But anyway, my question is not really about tomorrow's UFC. It's more about the controversy with GSP and BJ Penn. I haven't really heard you talk about it at all. I wanted to see what your thoughts were. We talked about it a little bit after it happened. There was controversy saying that GSP's corner was putting Vaseline on his back in between rounds to make him more slippery to get out of BJ Penn's guard and stuff. But GSP released a statement about it, said that,
His corner gives him like they have a like a relaxation technique they do where they kind of where they give him that. No, they supposedly rub his back, you know, to like make him relaxed. And they said, you know, if the guy after he put Vaseline on his face had Vaseline on his hands, it was unintentional. And that's the deal. Rob does that for Sky sometimes. I don't think that's Vaseline, though. To me, controversy, whatever. I think it's over. GSP dominated that fight. It doesn't matter if he was in a vat of grease. He still would have beat BJ Penn. Thank you, brother. Appreciate the call. P1 Panchito? Oh, listen. How are you doing? Panchito, how are you? Wait, wrong one. There we go. No, wrong one. Where is it? Where's my salsa music? I lost it. Go ahead. What were you calling to say, Panchito? Well, Mikey, I listened to the podcast after my day of hard work. I am completely appalled by the fact that you disregard the movie The Three Caballeros. Oh, thank you.
Thank you. Yeah, we did. There's a very heated debate, not only on the air, but even online at MikeyShow.com on the Mikey Show after, on the Ashley After Show, where the show was sort of debating the top Disney movies ever. Serious topic. Yeah, Panchito feels like the trust. Three Caballeros. Caballeros was dissed. What is that? It's a great movie, Rob. Hello. Is that the three musketeers in Spanish? No. I don't know what it is either. Sorry, Punchito. They're racist. Bird in it or something. I don't know. Come on in, guys. SeƱor Boston. Too soon. Thank you. Thank you, Punchito. That was awesome. Hey, Bass String, what's going on, dude? Good morning, guys. Good morning. I think Eddie needs to feed Rob one of his All-American lunches because maybe then Rob will get some email etiquette. Oh, please, talk to me. Oh, wow. Talk to me. Oh, what's this? Rob, you put down that Perrier. Put down that Perrier and take a listen. It is just awesome. Go ahead. Yeah, put down the Diet Dr. Pepper. Thank you. Talk to us because I have issues with Robin and email as well. All for you, Ashley, Sky, Eddie, Mike, you, yourself. You guys are great about emailing. Thank you. I try. Email etiquette to be 24 hours. You know, you get a reply.
I mean, Eddie and the guy sometimes are within an hour. We're really good. I'm working towards that. I'm working towards that. I emailed Rob two weeks ago with two simple questions, never got a reply. One other question. That's just awful. Hey, Rob, you yourself told me one time, Mikey, he says, yeah, if I don't like the way the subject line is worded, or if I think someone's trying to clown me, or I fix their wagon, I just hit delete. What the heck? Hey, get it correct. Grab my attention at the start. If I see a book title that says something stupid, I ain't picking up the book. What are you, an agent? I mean, what are you doing, man? What is going on? It's brutal. Come on, Rob. My email is the same as my P1 name. You can't see that? And take a look at least. I don't read the names. What were you writing him about? Oh, I was just, I was asking, I should have asked Ashley or Eddie, are you guys still doing the answering machine or what? Oh, dude. Too soon. Too soon. It's on the website. That's why I'm asking, you know? Oh, too soon with that, too. Oh, wait. That was a double whammy. Yeah, it was. Wow. Hey, listen, I just got text back. What do you want?
Yeah. Well, Zeth would help us get through the answer machine. And Sean would always help us keep the website updated. I was very pleased to see that I only had 1,400 emails yesterday. I thought it would be a lot more than that. So, you know, I want to apologize to anybody that's written me an email. I haven't got back to you either. I need to. What I'm going to do is. I have a pretty good way to fix this problem. I'm going to delete every email in there. Wait, do you really have 1,400? Yeah, 1,400. 400 and something. Zeph used to help him keep his emails all organized. Oh my gosh, Michael. And so I need to go in there. Just delete the account. I need to delete the account. Just get rid of the whole thing. I wish that there was one button I could press would get rid of all of it. I just have to start from scratch. Just make an announcement. Listen, if you've sent an email, I apologize. We've had some changes around here, and I've had to delete it. Maybe we'll help you. Dude. Eddie, you know exactly what you're doing. Eddie, you know exactly what you're doing. What's over there? That's what amazed me. In Montreal, I went into a Burger King. The Burger King employees are required to be bilingual. Just think about that for a second, folks. Have you been to Burger King in New York? Yeah, they're not even lingual here. A little different in New York. You have to kind of draw your food here. Hamburger. I'd like a hamburger. Hamburger. I have to go. I'm going to go. Take it out. Here, I'll put little feet on my hamburger.

Now, with what's up in your world, this is the Mikey Show 360. Well, Mikey Show 360 is what's going on. What are people talking about? What's the big thing? First of all, I want to let you know, next break we're going to be talking to the nation's only blind movie critic. Facebook has removed 5,500 people. Why, Sky?
Well, they removed a total of 5,585 convicted sex offenders from their website. Yeah, I guess they didn't want to be outdone by MySpace, who announced a few weeks ago that they had removed 90,000 sex offenders over a two-year period from their site. So Facebook has just been working on this a little while, and they claim they have over 175 million active members on Facebook. Really? 175 million people. You hear that, Skye? Yeah, Skye. You hear that, Rob? Rob and I are not in there. Stand strong. You are missing out. Skye, why will you not join Facebook? Well... I have many reasons. You're not better than Facebook. I'm not saying I'm better than Facebook. I'm trying to pretend like you are. Well, you know, you heard from the P1s. I'm really good about returning my emails, and I like to just focus on that. You know, I don't want to spread myself too thin. Well, because Skye is not on Facebook, she doesn't write her 25 random facts about her like a lot of people are doing as a fad right now on Facebook. So later on in the show, we're all going to do three random facts about us.
You know, so you can find out some stuff. I want to know some stuff about Skye. She won't. I can't write on her wall. Yeah, because you know nothing about me. You know, I don't know. We'll tag her. We've been working together for 10 years. Tag her in a picture. And you know nothing about me. You know what I'm saying? I don't even know you. Yeah. Will you stop it? It's getting like that. It's me, Skye. Yeah. We don't know. I know you, Skye. Thank you, Rob. So, hey, I heard Conan O'Brien's last night host in Late Night is tonight. It is? No. Can you believe that? No. I can't even believe that. Wow. It's pretty crazy. Yeah, he's going to take over the Tonight Show. Yes. Wow, Rob, you excited about that? He's the man. Yeah, he's been doing a Late Night Show for 16 years. No way. I remember his first one. Really? Yeah. Watching that very first one. It was very uncomfortable. Oh, dude. Beyond. He was not very good polished-wise as far as the monologue and stuff like that. He was always really wacky, which I liked. He wasn't like a traditional stand-up guy hosting a talk show. He was weird, but man, those first few shows were oof. It was bad, right? It was uncomfortable to watch. Yeah, it was very uncomfortable. If you guys ever get a chance on...
Bravo or whatever it is, the Inside the Actor's Studio, I just watched it with him. Are you serious? Fantastic. They had him on it? Really? It was new maybe two or three weeks ago, but I've seen them replay it. I bet he's interesting. Check your gut. Check my gut. I'll check it. Check your gut. Here's Conan on The Tonight Show. put your stamp on the Tonight Show. You're going to have a few months to figure out exactly what you want to do. Are we looking at a major overhaul of this show, or are you tinkering with the current format? Mostly a game show format now. Cash prizes. I'm following the Howie Mandel model. He's done so well for this network. You know what I'm going to do? I think in comedy, it's a mistake to be too cerebral and to overthink it. I'm going to focus on doing the funniest show that I can do every day. I think every Tonight Show host, if you look at the beginning, Steve Allen, Jack Parr, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, each show has been different. Each show has reflected what the host was all about. My show will be different to the degree that I'm a very different person than Jay. He has well over 185 classic cars. I have a 1991 Ford Taurus. That's what my show is going to be all about. That's funny. So he's going to take over really soon, right?
No? No. He's taking some time off, I guess, to prepare for the big thing. So tonight's going to be his last show, but he won't start the Tonight Show until June 1st. So what will Jay do? Is he just going to retire? No, remember he's doing that 10 o'clock show. Yeah. Oh. On the same network? Yes. Monday through Friday, he's doing a 10 o'clock, 10 to 11 show every night. Talk variety type of show. And then Conan at 1130? Yeah. Talking about stealing Conan's Thunder, man. Yeah, I mean, hello. Yeah. What is she doing? I don't know, like a rat? That's Leno. That's Leno, you guys. Oh, is that Leno? Oh, that was Leno? It's like a possum. I didn't get that. Well, wait, you want to hear her do it? Yeah, well, it's a celebrity. We're going to just ignore a celebrity. She actually does a pretty good Leno. Yeah. Ladies and gentlemen, Jay Leno. Making sounds. Ah, it's Jay. Hey, Jay. What are you going to do when you wrap up the show? Don't say, Jay. Wow, man. Good. It needs work. I'm going to be honest. Has she ever even heard Jay Leno's voice? I think this one needs work. That was really good, actually. I'm going to tell you that I think this one needs work. Thank you. That was good. Oh, that gave me an ulcer. Some of them are better than others, those voices. So sad.
That's the deal with him. And then Jimmy Fallon is taking over late night. Yes. So Conan will end. Finally. Conan, his last night on late night will be tonight, and Jimmy Fallon will take over on March 2nd. We got to protest. We got to get this thing organized together, and we got to go. But you love him. I do not love him. There's no reason for you to dislike him, though. That's a weird thing. I despise him. Whoa. Give me one good reason. His face. Okay. But he was in a Red Sox movie. And he sucked. He did not. Yes, he was the worst. You really don't have a reason for not liking him, right? I don't like his comedy. I don't like his being. I don't like... Who is he? Who is he? Is he Adam Sandler? Well, here he is talking about the show, the new show. We're not going to hide the fact that people use the internet and we're going to try to be as interactive as possible with our fans. He's currently on Twitter and Facebook. He's doing this from his trunk of his car. Is that what he's doing? Flickr and Dig, all that stuff. Be as interactive as possible. Clicker and dig. You guys on that? Because I think to, like, get ready for the show, he's been doing, like, web shows. Yeah. To, like, kind of warm up and get ready for it. So I think that's him, you know, on the web. And so he has released who his two first guests are. Who? He will have Robert De Niro. Oh. And Van Morrison. Ugh.
Whoa, Van Morrison. It's a very older, skewing show. March 2nd, those will be his first interviews. There's him talking about De Niro. He's just so cool, and I always love working with him. He's a really nice guy to work with. I think he also comes off as a tough interview, and I thought that it would be kind of good to have my first guy. You guys ever seen De Niro interviewed? Yeah. He doesn't give much. Really? No. It's like Maynard? Yeah. Here, I'll be De Niro. Ask me a question. So, how was your new movie? How was working on that? It's good. I was working with Al Pacino. He's great. He's talented. How's your family? You know, good. Do you say any more words than good? Oh, yeah. Yeah, definitely. That's what it sounds like. It's brutal. He doesn't give a lot. That's going to be tough. Let's see. Brad Pitt. And his kids are going on vacation. Well, him and the boys, they're going on vacation to Vegas.
Yeah, they've actually been in Vegas this week. Oh, what are they? Just turning 21? That's awesome. Guys freaking out. Maddox and Pax. It's like a boys... What the hell? It's like a boys Vegas trip, you know? Why Vegas? Can you just go anywhere? Legoland? Yeah. Well, Angelina's in New York with the girls, and Brad had the boys, so I guess they decided to go to Vegas. Vegas. Don't yell at me. What are they going to do? Are they going to hit up Spearmint Rhino, Brad? That is Spearmint Rhino. Mike, you don't want to know. I don't know. I don't know. Earmuffs. Never been there. So I guess Brad and Maddox and Pax went to a Cirque du Soleil show. Of course they did. Fun. Kids aren't going to like that. They did listen. They're excited. They're all into it. Oh, they're loving it. That's scary. Yeah, they were staying in the Hard Rock Hotel, and I guess they made sure to have wheeze in the room so they could play the wheeze. We're in Vegas. That's what I do in Vegas. Why don't you just do that at home now? No, I'm kidding. Good point, Mike. What's the point of that? That's weird. Yeah.
Maynard is going to be filming a documentary on his wine business. Oh, Sky. Sky interviewed him and it was not all... Is that going to be in the documentary? Oh, it should be. Let's do our own documentary. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that what it's called? They just changed the name of it. Yes, yes. Yeah, so I'm sure it'll be really exciting. Maynard has quite the personality I learned firsthand, which was really great. He wasn't very nice. No, again, like pulling teeth. Is that the name of the documentary? Yes, it should be. Pulling teeth. Yeah, so they describe it as unusual and the often metaphysical... business of making wine. Wow, so his effervescent personality is winemaking. I'm sure all the Tool fans are going to be running to the stores together. Well, and don't forget, it also will feature his winemaking partner, Eric, who was in a lot in my interview. He's from Tim and Eric, right? No, that would have been cool. That's awesome. That's kind of weird, though. That's right. Listen.

But there is one national nonprofit organization working to make sure those who need care can access it, Patient Advocate Foundation, otherwise known as PAF. Here in California, PAF has joined forces with Amgen and their Breakaway from Cancer initiative to support the Amgen Tour of California bicycle race. Underway now through Sunday to help raise awareness to support the free programs and services provided by life-saving organizations like the Patient Advocate Foundation. So join the Patient Advocate Foundation at the finish line in Escondido this Sunday. The race will be followed by health screenings, family activities, and great food. So bring the whole family. Kearney Pearson Ford's a division of Sun Road Automotive. You've got Eliza Dushka on the line, and she is in this new show, Dollhouse. It's on Friday nights on Fox, 9 o'clock. You were in the movie This Boy's Life with Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio. How old were you in that movie when you did that? I was 11. At 11? Do you even get how big that is, or is it just all part of being 11? My mom's a political science professor, so she was one of those, like, Robert who? Like, she has no clue.
And I showed up on set and, you know, I used to, like, kick him in the shins. And I was like, this little bratty 11-year-old. I had no idea. Really? But it was nice because then I ended up getting to work with him 10 years later when I did have a clue. And, you know, it was still the same. I still kicked him in the shins. Yeah, yeah. Back to The Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Welcome back to The Mikey Show, 653. And we got a guy we're going to be talking to here that is the only... Blind movie critic in the nation. His name is Jay Forey. Are you there, Jay? How did you find the phone today? Awesome. There it is. First blind joke of the morning. And he made it. That's awesome. That's pretty cool. That's cool. Hey, Jay, that means you don't take yourself too seriously. I like it. Exactly. That's cool.
What do you expect? Well, listen, man, this is an interesting story. It says here you've been blind since you're 28 years old. How old are you now? 75. I just found you. Yeah? Wow. How old are you? Now I'm 30 to 50. And what was it? How did you lose your eyesight? I'm a sight from diabetes. A lot of people don't know it. That's the number one cause of blindness. What? And in terms of blindness, are you... completely blind, or do you have any eyesight? Let me put my hand in front of my face. I'm totally blind. Well, he's just checking. He just wants to make sure. He's making sure. He's making sure. So you've been, hey, listen, you've become accustomed to this way of life. You've been doing it for a while now. I went to college, and when I was in college, someone said, hey, Jay, you want to write something for the school newspaper?
And just for a joke, I've been a movie critic. And it was a written column. And when I graduated from college, radio started picking that up. And that's on my website, BlindsideReviews.com. And it's been going on ever since. Now, what is the reaction from the media when you come on and you do interviews, especially with the morning radio? Do you get yahoos? Are people making, what is it, blind jokes? What do you get mostly? It's funny you said that. I did a show. Well, that is where the National Federation for the Blind is. And they got all kinds of calls. This guy's making fun of blind people. No, I'm making fun of myself. You got yourself in trouble. Right?
All positive, usually. Not all, but 99%. All right, Jay, let's talk. Let's talk about movies because you hear them. You don't see them, and you review based on what you hear. Sometimes you'll use your wife and your son to describe the action to you, right? He's a captain in the Army. He's been out for a while, but other assistants that go with me besides my wife. And you're right. I go to the screenings, and they will fill me in, help fill me in on things, mostly action scenes, like gags. and things like that. Oh, man. Is it still funny if they got to explain? It's not like the old adage. It's not funny if you got to explain the joke. Is it funny still when they say, you know, something happens, it's already moved on, and they got to lean over and go, okay, so the guy, you know, he took his, you know, his foot, and then he pretended to put, is it like that? Not really, because think about it. If someone tells you a joke that has visuals, you laugh at it. Right. You know, and so it's the same thing, and I'm listening to so much of the time.
I can just listen and know what's going on. Most movies, especially the Hard House movies where we're talking about the Academy Awards, they're all dialogue driven. Okay, so what's the best movie you heard this year? The best movie I heard this year? Well, I tell you what, believe it or not, in the past month or so, I loved Grand Torino, the Clint Eastwood film. Wow. Grand Torino. Check that out. I mean, it's not what you would think. And that one you said this year, that's that one right there. Is that the best movie? That's the best movie you've heard this year. And you've heard, I'm guessing you've heard the other big movies, The Wrestler. Worst. Oh, you tricked us. Yeah, you tricked us. You're smarter than us, bro. Yes, you are. Yeah, I'm looking for, you know, the movies that are up for best picture. My favorite pick for the Academy. I love Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Listening to it was an incredible thing for you. Right. I mean, it was 2 hours and 45 minutes. Oh. It's a long movie, so I had to empty out my coke bladder. Your coke bladder. You coke bladder. But Jay, that movie is a lot of special effects. Very visual. Yeah, but you know what? That's true.
But like I said, I kind of knew what was going on going into the film. And the story is just so fantastic. If you listen to the story, it's just great. That's so weird. And since you've had sight before, you became blind because of the diabetes. When you're hearing these movies, are you making pictures in your mind of what's going on on the screen? Yeah, you're exactly right. Wow. You hit the nail on the head. That's what it is. Now, here's the thing. Is the picture as good as what's going on in the movie? I don't know. Jack goes, though, now with the dialogue. How great is the dialogue to make that picture in my mind now? Well, we're talking about a picture in your mind in Best Supporting Actress. I'm voting for Kate Winslet in The Reader. Now, wait, wait. Because she was nude. He didn't see that, though, Sky. But in his mind, he did. In his mind. Oh, yeah. He saw it, bro. Now. I say you liked her the best because she read through the whole thing. You just got to listen to it. She had some sex scenes in there. How do you know? What did she say? So your wife, does she lean over and go, oh, man, is this getting great right now? You can hear it. You can hear it. I got in trouble in that film. They go, man, get that guy up from up front. He's brailing the screen. You pervert. That's ridiculous. You pervert.
We're talking to the only blind film critic in the country. His name's Jay Forey. So, Jay, so what's a big whoop about her, you know, speaking? You know, because you obviously like her the best last year in, you know, motion pictures. So what's so cool about her voice? That was, you know? I'm into sex scenes when breathing heavy. All right. She did a great job. What's the greatest movie you've ever heard? How come? Nice. What for? Your face, Rob. Get it? He's got a lot of them. He's good. You do? There it is. I don't want to be...
No, wait. You're way ahead of me, Jay. Talk to me about The Sixth Sense. What was great that you heard in Sixth Sense? Why was that the greatest movie you ever heard? Totally surprised by the end. It's all about the story. It's not about the visuals. I see so many movies that I usually know. No, you don't. There it is. Go ahead. Even these Academy Award movies. I mean, I know a lot of times what's going to happen. Yeah, and not when it took you by surprise. Right, exactly. All right, give me your pick for best picture this year, and then we're going to wrap it up. But now you're the thing. Milk, the story about the gay politician. Yeah. Come up behind and take it in. I don't know, but I don't know. There he is. He's the world's only perverted blind.
Movie critic, and his name is Jay Forey. Yeah, lucky one. You rascal. All right, Jay. Well, listen, thank you for coming on. And it was interesting talking to you. All right, thank you. Thank you. Jay Forey. That was not what I expected. No. That was odd. He's out there, isn't he? I loved that. Guys ready to hear a scene from Milk? Oh, I've been dying. I know you have. You guys ready for this? This is where Sean Penn plays gay politician Harvey Milk. If you say anything about politics or the campaign or what speech you have to give. This is not Sean Penn's part yet. I didn't think so. You are not listening to Harvey Milk yet. Now try to tell me, since we just talked to the world's only blind film critic, try to tell me as a listener if you can tell which of the characters sounds gay. Or anything, I swear to God I'm going to stab you with this fork.
I just wanted this. Okay, well. This is the most wonderful thing I've ever had. Can you tell yet? I think I can. It was the second voice. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe I need to hear it again. Up for debate. Up for debate. I don't know. Who's this? It'll just be you and me. I wish I were blind. Yeah, well. What did you guys think? That was great. Yeah, wasn't that a great scene? I loved it. Can't wait to see that. It sounds like it's really good. Super. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253 if you want to. No, no, no, it isn't. I'm so used to saying it. It's text Mikey. Text Mikey at Gmail. Gmail? Text Mikey at gmail.com. Thanks, J4E, the world's only blind film critic. You rascal. He was really something else. Terrific, huh?
We still got to do the sports theory. I got to hear all about Tiger Woods and when Tiger's going to be back because he says he is, and he's telling you when. So we'll do that next. It's Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. Looking for a way to get more entertainment, faster internet speeds, and unlimited calling plans while saving money at the same time? Sleep train mattress centers. Overall, still looking at a fairly easy ride. We've got some new problems, though. Out of the east county, the westbound date is slowing down. Approaching an accident in the center of 5 before 2nd Street. So watch for those brake lights right around Greenfield Drive. And that continuous slope to the accident. South 15, staying tough as usual. Out of Escondido, off to 78, down to Villa Rancho Parkway. Got an accident now clearing on the Rancho Santa Fe Road off-ramp from westbound 78. And also North 805 is starting to slow just a little bit through National City, then again through North Park. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. How would you guys like to see that? Oh, my God. See San Diego's Rock. Featuring Mikey. I have to check my email constantly. Eddie. I am maybe the world's worst handyman. Scott. If an SUV is cheaper, I'm still going to go for a hybrid. Boston Rob.
I love the Republicans. I love the Democrats. You're obviously sexist in a horrible case. And Ashley. I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. Show's on Rock 105.3. Where you can text message us if you'd like. Our text number is textmikey at gmail dot com. This guy said earlier, you should just call it the text email address, because that's really what it is. It's like an email address. Textmikey at gmail dot com. And we're glad to have it back. Now, with the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. The official Tiger Woods is set to return, and we know when. When? Oh, how about next weekend? Are you serious? Next week, he says he's going to play. He wants to defend his match play title in Arizona and will return and play in his first tournament since having ACL surgery. Oh.
Didn't that happen here? Didn't he get all jacked up here? Yeah, and the last time he played was the U.S. Open here, which was the greatest golf tournament I've ever seen in my life. Really? That's a statement. Absolutely, by far. Wow. And, yeah, he's going to set to return, so it should be interesting to see him play. Do you think that he comes back and wins? You know, people are saying that he may come back and win. I don't know how. He hasn't played golf in a long time. It takes a while. It took me a while to get my swing back. I know what you mean, Mike. First of all, you've only played one time, and you fell out of the cart. That's true. It is not my fault. A, you'd been drinking. You were wasted. I was not. I was driving the cart, so I didn't drink. Sharp turn. Anyway. Sharp turn. Anyway. Sharp turn. So you've got to imagine Phil Mickelson is feeling the heat of Tiger coming back. He's actually leading the tournament going on right now. The Northern Trust Open after shooting 63 in the first round. And once Tiger comes back, that means Phil doesn't win anymore. Good luck with that, Phil. They must all be hating it that he's coming back. Everybody that was winning is probably like, oh, man. It's worth a lot of money to them. They get a lot of dough. For sure. Now he gets all the dough. That's how it is, man. He's the best. The Raiders have reached an agreement with their cornerback, Namdi Ashmua. Oh, he's good.
$45 million for three years, making him the highest paid defensive back in NFL history. Are you kidding me? Nnamdi Ashmoor. He's good, man. He's a really good player. Never heard of him. Okay. Well, you have now. I guess that means he doesn't exist. He's the richest defensive back ever. That's interesting. The Panthers placed the franchise tag on disgruntled Julius Peppers, which... What's he so disgruntled about? His last name is Peppers. You know, Eddie, it's tough enough. It's tough enough with her. What kind of Peppers? Is he a bell pepper? Is he a jalapeno pepper? Eddie, what is she even doing? I don't know. It's her way of involving herself in sports, and I don't really appreciate it. It's fun. To be honest with you. It's really weird. I'm just making it fun, guys. It's so fun. I love it. He doesn't really want to play Carolina anymore. but it looks like he's going to probably have to since they put the franchise tag on him. And the Panthers also gave their offensive tackle, Jordan Gross, a new six-year deal. And in baseball, Tom Glavin is returning to the Braves. He signed a one-year deal to pitch for them this year. Really? Yeah. Do you think that he's still good? He is serviceable. I mean, he's an older guy. He's been pitching for a long time. But, you know, it'll be all right for them. All right.
Let's see. Is that it? Is that all we got in sports? I got some crazy more stuff coming up in the next sports dirt about A-Rod. Oh, baby. Oh, mama. Oh, baby. Oh, mama. That's what's called a tease, guys. That's right. Oh, wow. I'll be there. It's in the industry. We call that a tease. On CNBC, there's a guy named Rick Santelli. Try getting a hold of Tracy Morgan again, by the way. We're trying to get Tracy Morgan on the air. Oh, good. I mean, we have a scheduled interview. Yeah. Weird. He gets busy. Well, yeah. Subway, we don't know the timing on really on the Subway schedule. Yeah. Eating at Subway. That's right. That's what we meant. Yeah. You know, having a sandwich at Subway. Right. Yeah. Rick Santelli is a guy that's on CNBC, and he kind of flipped out yesterday about this whole mortgage talk that's going on. Rick Santelli and Jason Roney of Sharma Capital are standing by at the CME Group in Chicago. And Rick, have you been listening to this conversation? Listening to it? I've been just... glued to it because Mr. Ross has nailed it. You know, the government is promoting bad behavior because we certainly don't want to put stimulus forth and give people a whopping $8 or $10 in their check and think that they ought to save it. And in terms of modifications, I'll tell you what, I have an idea. You know, the new administration's big on computers and technology. How about this, president and new administration? Why don't you put up a website to have people vote on the internet as a referendum?
to see if we really want to subsidize the losers' mortgages, or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give them to people that might have a chance to actually prosper down the road and reward people that could carry the water instead of drink the water? That's a novel idea. Hey, Rick, did you... What? Who thought that? They're like putty in your hands. No, they're not, Joe. They're not like putty in our hands. This is America. How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can't pay their bills? Raise their hand. Are you listening? Flipped out. I like that guy. By the way, we have word that Tracy Morgan. Now, Sky, fill people in. On what happened with Tracy Morgan. Well, earlier this week, his apartment in Manhattan caught on fire. Oh, that's crazy. Yeah, that's crazy. I guess there was a lamp that's part of his fish tank that somehow ignited a fire in the apartment. And other celebrities, like the view Sherry Shepard lived in the apartment. And we heard her talking about how she had to evacuate all her wigs. And, yeah, it caused quite a scene. Hey, Tracy, are you there? Yes, I'm here. I'm glad you pulled me off. Yeah, yeah.
Nice to hear from you. Are you okay, Tracy? Yeah, yeah, Tracy. So what's up, man? What happened in there? It had something to do with lamps in your fish tank? It ain't got nothing to do with no lamps in my fish tank. What was it? Really? What was it then? That's all crazy rumors. See, I'm single now. I've been divorced for two years. Yeah? Yeah, we heard you weren't even there, so that doesn't make sense, Tracy. No, it isn't. It doesn't make any sense, man. Yes. Yeah. And so what'd you decide? You're going to take matters into your own hands. Yeah. So what'd you do? Yes.
Hey, Tracy, did you know that Sherry Shepard is your neighbor and you really upset her when you had your fire? Yeah, well, I don't care about no Sherry Shepard because of you. I don't care about those girls. They just shut up and stop yelling all the time on top of each other. That's a great point. I'm really glad that somebody finally had the exploding, you know, genitalia to stand up and say that. I ain't crazy. I ain't crazy. I'm personal friends with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Two things together sound crazy. I think that's awesome. It sounds like you are crazy, actually. Eddie knows I used to live on Dagobah. Yeah, he did. He did, Eddie? He did. Eddie, Tracy Morgan lived on Dagobah? Dagobah, yes. Dagobah. Yes, please, get that right. Dagobah. Oh, gosh. It's a system. Got it. Oh, dear. Yoda used to be my college roommate. Really? Is that right? They went to the University of Dagobah. Yeah, UOD. I believe they were the Demon Deacons. Yeah, I heard that. I didn't know any of this. Tracy.
I'm not crazy at all. Things just happen. Yeah. Things happen. Hey, Tracy, where have you been living since you're not in that apartment anymore? I'm crashing on Luke Skywalker's house. Oh, I know. Sounds comfy. Not Luke Skywalker from Star Wars. The guy from True Life Cruise. Oh. Our bad. Our bad. That actually makes a lot more sense. Yeah, it does. That's pretty awesome. I'm glad you asked me. I am, too. All right, Tracy. Well, thank you for coming on and giving us the exclusive. Yeah, we're glad you're okay. Yeah, for sure. I hope I cleared things up. Yeah, you definitely did. You did. Very nice. Thank you, Tracy Morgan.
Thank you. We'll talk to you later. That's Tracy Morgan, ladies and gentlemen. He's the best. Wow, what an exclusive. He really is. Now, I don't know if you guys are planning on going and watching Lance Armstrong come in to the home stretch, to the finish line, but his bike race ends in Escondido this weekend. It does? Yeah. Lance Armstrong and Floyd Landis are part of this bike race, like with 100 other elite bikers going on right now all over California. And for some reason, the finish line is in downtown Escondido. Really? I don't know who picked that location. That's very interesting. So they're expecting thousands of people to be there. The finish line will be on Grand Avenue and Broadway in downtown Escondido. That's right in the heart of downtown. And they expect them to cross. Cross the finish line somewhere between 3.30 and 5 o'clock on Sunday. Really? So, yeah, there's going to be a big crowd out there. A lot of the streets are going to be shut down in the area. So, it's pretty cool. Hey, Eddie, I got time, right? Yep. Okay, let's do weekend worry work. Call us right now, 570-1053. If you have something going on this weekend that you're tripped out about, that you're really, you know, very anxious about, you're nervous about, call us at 570-1053 right now.
And we'll find out what it is. We'll check back in with you on Monday and find out how it's all going. Obama has gone on his first foreign trip as president. He's going on it. He hasn't taken it yet, right? No, he went yesterday. He went to where? Well, it's a big foreign trip, Mike. President Obama went to... Canada. Okay, well that's not even a foreign land. That is another country. That is another country as our president representing America around the globe. Exotic Toronto. Around the globe, everybody. How do you do it? What did he go there for? He didn't just go down to Tijuana. No kidding. It's not that big of a deal. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. Well, I guess he obviously wanted to meet with the leaders there and say, hey, we're friends. They have a leader? Everything's great. Yeah, they do that? Yes. They're talking about Canada, right? They have a prime minister. I thought they just let us do it. Yeah. So they met. They talked about trade policy. Wayne Gretzky, he's the leader, right? That's right. No, it's Alanis Morissette. Oh, it is? Okay. They talked about trade policy, energy, and the war in Afghanistan. Brian Adams.
is Secretary of State. No, you guys. That is not true. It was about a seven-hour visit. He was there for about seven hours yesterday. Wow. A boat. Hey, did you hear... What? That's all I know about Canada. A boat. That was your Canadian voice? A boat. That's really... It was really good. Thanks. That's really spot on. Thanks. It sure was. Okay, so I want to play this for you. There's this other lady that says that she got bit by that chimp, too. What? Yeah, yeah. The crazy face ripper. Yeah, the face ripping chimp. Okay. And apparently she was on the Today Show. Travis bit Leslie Mostel Paul in a car back in 1996. I want three names. You can get three names. That's pretty special. Somebody Mostel Paul. I went to shake his hand and he came across the console. Well, first of all. Well, it's your voice. I would attack you too. Well, first of all, I'm not shaking hands with another chimp. Oh, really? No, dude. Love chimps. I think they're funny. They're the best. But, dude, they're strong, man. You know, I don't trust them. Nah, they like you. They got the strength of 10 men. That's true. And grabbed my hand and pulled me, tried to pull me into the car window. And he chomped down on my hand at the same time. He pulled her hand and tried to pull her in the car window and bit her.
Leslie says she complained to Stanford police and the chimp's owner, Sandra Herald, but nothing ever came of it. I honestly believe she wanted him prosecuted. Yeah, throw him in chimp jail. Yeah, throw him in chimp jail. But if they had followed through, maybe the laws would have been changed sooner. I don't know. The laws. Attacker. Always with the laws. Laws. And what they're doing with the chimp, and they didn't take the laws into their matters here. So the woman would not be in the hospital fighting for her life now. If I had not been fighting for my hand before previously with the laws, maybe this chimp would have never bitten anybody else. Now, in defense of the chimp, she was wearing banana cream pie lotion on her hands. You do not know that, Eddie. It's from Bath and Body Works. I don't know that. Look it up. I mean, it sounds delicious. YouTube it. She was wearing that and, you know, stuff happens. Fine. Okay. At least it's an explanation. In the chimp's defense. You don't know that. I do know it. You don't know that. There's a new study on dudes' brains, and it says that when we look at sexy pictures, something happens. I'll tell you what it is. It might surprise you. Britney Spears is really on one, too. For Weekend Worry Worry. You worried about something? 570-1053. You got something going on this weekend that is just tripping you out, and it would make us all go, really? That's going on? 570-1053. On The Rock.

Well, one of my most prized possessions is Peter Pan's bottoms. Really? The actual Peter Pan's bottoms? Yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. And when you put them on, you feel like you're flying. Yeah? Are you wearing them right now? Yeah. Okay. That's weird. The pants can fit two people, but it is snug, and so it works best if you have a friend as big as Emmanuel. Wait, no. It's from Divine Possibilities, the most delicious sandwich on the planet Earth. Which one did you get? I got the chicken pesto. Oh, one of my faves. Can I say something? Because my boy Damien told me that, I don't know who got it, but they have a jambalaya. How about that? For the Mardi Gras thingy. Mardi Gras.
And it's going to be for the rest of the month, so all next week you can go down and get it. And it's got chicken, shrimp, sausage, and Cajun spices. How about that? Jambalaya. Jambalaya. Oh, my goodness. Check out their website, torpasta.com. And they love P1s over there. Oh, yeah. Yeah, dude. They love P1s over at Divine Pastabilities. They're really good friends of the show, and we love them. They're great. Okay, so the Mikey Show 360 is stuff that's going on. It's the big stuff, the stuff that people are talking about. There's a study that was done on men's brains. And what happens when we look at sexy pictures, Skye? Well, this is interesting. So at Princeton University, they took a group of men and they showed them pictures of women in sexy clothes, scantily dress, bikinis, all this kind of stuff. The midnight oil. Yes. That's right. That was Skye's lingerie. That is not what it was called. Yeah. It was called the Midnight. At the Oasis. Midnight at the Oasis. I don't know that that's what it's called. You guys grow up. It was called the At Midnight Things Happen. Midnight something. That's for sure. It was Midnight Fantasy. Oh, yeah. Sexy is in the name. Sexy is in the name. Oh, my goodness. You know what I'm saying? You're a hot pancake. You're a dirty girl, Skye. That's right. You little Cinnabon.
She is such a cinnabon. I am somebody's wife, okay? Sure you can have my number, baby. Oh, look at that. Delicious. So what happens when we go out to a party with some sisters, huh? What happens? You know what happens. That's right, Barack. So anyway, they did a study where they show, dude, you know, sexy pictures. And then they see what part of the brain it activates when they're shown these sexy pictures. And they said that the part of the brain that activates is the part. The part that controls horny gets activated. Oh, yeah, it does. Get out of here. No, the part of the brain that thinks about, like, tools and stuff. So basically saying that when men are looking at these pictures of these women, they're not thinking of them as humans. They're thinking of them as objects. Get out of here. Yeah, they say that the region of the brain that's used to tune into another person's thoughts and feelings, which is normally used when you're communicating with people, was tuned down. Weird. You know, this is not surprising.
So far, I'm waiting for the news story. So men look at women's sexy dress is objects. Just watch some shows from the 50s. Like, why do you have to spend money on a study for them? I think that's fascinating. Look at those sexy lamps. I was not expecting that that's what you were going to say. No. It's like that's what we all thought. Yeah, I guess so. I guess so. Figure it out. We're the best. We're people, too. We are the best. Okay? Britney Spears is coming up with a new kind of bra. Oh, I love her. I love her. You love her? Mm-hmm. Okay. She's back. Like, what is it? She is back. I wear bras! Dude, have you seen her circus video? She is back. You think that's back? I saw it. I was like, hey, listen, if that's back, okay. Are you kidding? I'd like the, you know, I think the other thing was better, but... Really? I'm not talking to Shaver. That's interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I'm a huge fan of hers. I've seen every video. And I saw Circus, and I had chills on my arms. I had chills. I'll be honest. I did. Straight up. I had a collective eye roll.
I did. I thought it was great. I was like, oh boy. It's a freaking dress and leggings. That's what I said. I was like, great. Prancing around with a dress and leggings. What do you want from her? Weird. So she is working. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. Thank you. You know, it's just an observation, Oprah. That's what I saw. Brittany is working with a lingerie company to solve a problem that I think a lot of women suffer from. It's where do you put your cell phone when you have your Bluetooth in your ear? Well. Obviously, put it in your bra. What? So stupid. What? You talk about a miracle. You just got to thank the big man. Dude, I would love that. They're working on making a line of lacy bras featuring a, quote, cleavage pocket. That's awesome. You can stow your cell phone when you chat on your Bluetooth. That is genius. It's not even for the Bluetooth. But for me, yeah, like whenever I go out dancing, like I don't want to carry a purse. I hate it. And normally I'm not wearing pockets like if I'm in a dress or something. And so where do I put my cell phone? Because you got to bring the cell phone everywhere you go.
You know what I mean? And so now, bam. Just use your fanny pack. Put it in your bra. Why don't you put it in your fanny pack? Eddie, nobody wears fanny pack. I think that that would be a great fad right now. What you do is you get dressed up really, really hot and you put a fanny pack on. Well, all of that would have to happen, Mike, straight up, is that like Brittany or someone like really influential did that and then that would start. It would be like a thing. That is so dope. I'd follow that. Shoot. Oh, that would be so funny. Why not? Because it's so like... Why not? Yeah, what do you call it? Ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Yeah, big time. If you would like, call us right now at 570-1053 if you are worried about something. Something got you worried. Da, da, da, da. Mikey wants to hear about your confession. The weekend's coming and you're just a wort. This is the Weekend Worry Wart. Yeah, if you're worried about something, you call 570-1053. Like you're tripped out about something. You see Trippin' Boo? We're going to hit the links later. With sexy George Clooney? Yes. Dude, I think that looks short. Ayo thinks George Clooney's sexy. Did you say that, Ayo? You did too.
Oh, man, he's so mad. He's so mad that you let everybody know that he said that. That ain't right, Skye. That's right. Sorry. 570-1053. Hey, Jenna. Yes. What are you worried about? My best friend of 10 years is going to elope in Vegas this weekend. And she made me grab up all my stuff and rush there tonight. And she just got her last divorce. finalized in January. How long has she been seeing this new guy? They've been friends for a while, but kind of weird friends. How long? How long? Three years for friends and four months for seeing each other. And how old is she? She is 22. That's a bad idea. So this will be her second marriage? Yeah, this will be her second. Do you agree with the marriage? You know what? I think they're really good together. I think they get along, but why can't she wait? Right. Are you going to try and stop it? I can't stop it. Oh, you should. That'd be awesome. Yeah, like in a movie. Do it like they do in the movies. Yeah, wait until they say, speak now or forever hold your peace. And then do it. And then Ross goes, Rachel.
That's right. All right, hang on. We're going to put you on hold and check in with you on Monday, see how it went. I'd have more anxiety about having to go off to Vegas at the last minute. True. You know, like I'd forget something. Why do people have to? Like my toothbrush. When people are young, what's the deal? It's freaky. Why do people feel like they got to get married? I don't know. Just keep going out. Just keep going out. Go out. Like, you're together. You're together. That's what you want. What is the rush? I mean, why is there a need to go say, yeah, I do? I have a feeling I bet you would find out that she's in the military. I was thinking that, too. Really? A lot of young military people get married for, like, the benefits and stuff like that. Yeah, you get extra money, bro. P1 Chloe. Chloe. What's up? Hey, what's up? What are you worried about? Well, my boyfriend and I got married on Friday the 13th, and now we get to tell my parents. Oh, man. They don't know? Actually. How old are you? I'm 19. What did you get married for? Well, I absolutely adore the guy, and, you know, we've been together for a while. How long is a while? Hmm? How long is a while? About a year and a half now. How old is he? He's 22. Okay. And so you're 19, he's 22, you've been dating a year and a half, and you felt like you had to get married. Why married, though? Why not just keep dating? Well, I've lived with him for the past couple months, and it just seemed...
Better, you know, also so that the apartments would stop yelling at us about not being married because the people that own the apartments are really, really religious. Yeah. They don't have the right to tell you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They don't have the right to tell you what you can do or what you can't do. And you shouldn't be married. And that's not a reason to go get married. To be with someone for the rest of your life because your landlord is giving you a hard time. That's not the entire reason why we got married. I mean, we both felt like it was a great time to get married because we wanted to. There was no hesitation in our mind. If you're in love, if you've been together for a year and a half, why not? Go about it the traditional way, having a wedding with your family there and all that. Oh, that's interesting. Well, I've always been kind of at an off point with my family. Oh. My father and I don't really speak at all, really. Is it because of the relationship? Kind of. I was dating this guy before Derek, my now husband.
And my dad absolutely adored him, right? And he was an airman, and my dad's a retired Air Force colonel. And whenever I broke up with Brent, the airman, because he'd been cheating on me for a very long time, my dad kind of stopped talking to me because he was really angry. He was angry that you broke up with someone that was cheating on you? Yeah. Oh, that's very dysfunctional. Oh, that's bad. Yeah. He was basically like, I don't want you to date anyone else because this guy was an amazing guy. And I was like, really? That's kind of... Did he want you to... What did he say about him cheating? He said he was like, well, boys will be boys. Oh, boy. That's a good dad. Wow. Here's the weird part. My dad's a preacher. What? Weird. I guess he was wanting to put everything aside because the guy was in the Air Force. This is what I got to battle. I'm fighting for the God side, and this is what I got to battle. I got to battle whack jobs, you know? Like people that are representing God, and they sound whacked out. Yeah. That's what's tough, man, because people hear it, and they're like, oh, that's what it looks like, huh? You get a bad perception. Yeah, you get a bad perception. What a bummer. Tell your dad, give me a call. I'd love to talk to him. No, no. Seriously, I'm being 100% serious. Tell your dad.
I'll give you my phone number and my email address off the air. And I'm totally off the air. I'd love to have a conversation with your dad, man to man. Just really a very genuine, honest, and sincere conversation, honestly. If he would be willing to. He might be. Well, you're going to tell him this weekend, huh? Yeah. My mom absolutely loves the guy. She loves Derek. Good. We're going to put you on hold. months now, like even before we ever even started talking about it. Yeah. I think, actually, she started planning the military wedding or planning actually our wedding like a week after I started dating him because she just fell in love with the guy, you know. All right, well, listen, Chloe. How come you got married behind her back then? Great question. Why did you get married and not tell your mom if she was so into him and all that? Say the economy. Hey. No. What? Why did you? I'm not really sure. I just... That's the one thing. A lot of times people won't say stuff. A lot of times people won't say stuff because they know that they're going to hear, you know, the right thing. They want to do what they want to do without having anybody influence them. Rob. That's right. I get that. I get that. All right. Hey, Chloe, thank you. No problem. We'll check in with you Monday, okay? All right, cool. Get your info. Wow. It's tough. There's a lot going on there, Mike. I know there is. I can't wrap my head around that. No. Married at 19.
My mom got married at 17 when my dad, he was 19. Different times. Totally different times. So young. Totally different times. I tell you, I saw Slumdog Millionaire. What? You did? I mean, you just do things and you don't even tell your friends. Let's talk about it. You and me right here. Hold on. Is he really saying this right now? You don't like... You're making fart sounds. I'll tell you the truth, man. I'll be honest. Are you making fart sounds because of that beginning scene where the kid jumps? And the doo-doo? Yeah. Hey, don't ruin it for us, man. Well, that's not really the storyline. That's the whole movie, right? I gave it away. Thanks. No, you know what it was? I was covered in hives, I think. It was a deal. So I wasn't, you know. I wasn't. You know when you're just not in the right state of mind? You're not in the right state. Because I've not heard one person say it was not good. Have you seen it? I haven't seen it yet. Yeah, not right state of mind. No. Really? That's it. So I'll tell you. Even Rob is like, oh, I cried. I'll tell you. I'll be honest. Rob cried? I'll say. I was weeping openly. No way. I just, I need to see it again, and I need it to be. When you saw it, did you go, oh, I recognize why people love. Really? No. What's that? Mike. This is insane. No. This is insane. And I was trying to, in my head, I was trying, I was going.
I need to get into a place where I've never heard of this because it's been so built up. Really? Oh, see, I went into it knowing almost nothing and thinking, whatever, like, I'm not going to like this. Oh, it's who wants to be a millionaire in India. Great. Like, this is going to bore the pants off me. And turned out, like, those little kids, I love their acting. Don't give it away. That doesn't give much away. And the storyline just was great. That's what I hear. I'll try again. You are the worst. I don't think that... Which is better, The Wrestlers? Oh, dude, The Wrestlers, the greatest film. The greatest is like the greatest film I think that's ever been. I have to see that. I'm kidding. I'm an old, broken down piece of meat. Here we go. Meat. Don't call me Robin. Randy, call me Randy. Call me Randy. That's a great movie, that wrestler. I'm going to own that as soon as it comes out. It's really good. Sky, you'd love it. I don't think she would love it. Well, yeah, the blood would bother you. But the story's great. The gal that I work out with, Wendy, she goes, I said, I saw the wrestler. It's really great. And she goes,
Everybody I've talked to this thing, it says it's the most depressing movie ever. And see, like when people say that, it's I'm like, and like, you know, you're saying that like it's a bad thing. You know, because to me, my brother is the same way. My oldest brother, Mark, if a movie is sad, he's like, what's the point of that? Why would. anybody ever see a movie. I'll just watch the news. And, you know, I say to him, my deal with it is, well, if it makes you feel anything, happy, sad, whatever, to me, it's cool. Mission accomplished. If it's a great story. It's about evoking emotions. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, you know, you hear that dude saying... I'm an old, broken down piece of meat. How can you not... Ground turkey. Ground turkey? Mortadella. Yeah. I'm like a loaf of cut. Did you guys know that there's a Mega Millions ticket out there worth $250,000 in San Diego? What? We did it. When we come back, I'm going to... Not yet. You wait to check the numbers first. When we come back, I'm going to tell you where it was sold because we have where this thing was actually sold, which is pretty cool, right? Oh, yeah. Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money.
Hey, this is that band I was telling you about that I found that I'm really into, 10th Avenue North. Oh, I love the sound of this band. And lyrically, this is a really good band, too. You know what I love? I think I've told you this before. I love any music. I instantly love music that has a melody. In other words, I can sing along with it immediately. And I also love any music that sounds like it could be used in a movie trailer. I'm telling you, I love that. Sounds depressing. Volkswagen is proud to announce the People Want It Now event. I am, this is weird, doing what I do. I am a night person. Like, I loved being able to stay up late and watch TV and play video games and stuff like that. Your internal clock would allow you to go to one? Well, it would take a while, you know, to get back in that mode because, like, now, I mean, I get sleepy on Friday night at, like, 10. Yeah. Aw, you're so ridiculous. Oh, please, Sky. Go to bed at 8 o'clock. Are you kidding me? You don't ever. You are the grandma of grandmas. Yes. Put your shawl away. Why do you look so good today? Right? She looks good. Did she know that he was coming in? Who? Ayo? I don't know. One black guy comes in the studio and she looks that way. Sky. Unbelievable. My goodness. I go, wow, she looks really pretty today. There's a glow about her. Seriously. And I'm like, and I even thought to myself, I'm like, is there, there's no black guys coming in today? And then I was like, oh, okay, I get it. Can you and your sex panther stop? Sex panther. Save that clip. So, so tell us, Sky, where, there's a $250,000, I'm talking a quarter of a million dollar.
Mega Millions ticket floating around out there. Yeah, some clown has this ticket and doesn't even know. Where was it sold? It was sold at a Vons in El Cajon. Oh, that's mine, for sure. I buy my tickets at Vons all the time. You do? Yeah, but not in El Cajon. But if you find one, I dropped it. So this was for the February 17th Mega Millions drawing, and they hit every number except... for the Mega. Oh. But still, that's worth $250. Well, $244,659. It should be more. It should be. It really should be. What do you suppose half of that? What's half of that? $125 something? Yeah. Oh, man. That's what they get in cash. I'll take it. Oh, man. I take it. I'd be debt free. Hell yeah. You blow it all on cotton candy. Seriously. You're right. He'd go to Dave and Buster's and blow it in a weekend. He would. He'd figure out a way. Yeah, I'm sick. By all Cape Cod beanies. That's true. What's wrong with that? My head will never be warm. I'm in cold. All right, what else? You are ridiculous. You're welcome. How does somebody get a ticket and not chug it? Dude, I've done that many times. Really? Where I've put it in my wallet or something and forget about it. Is this a regular? You suppose this person is a regular lottery buyer or somebody that did it randomly?
I don't know. I vote for random. Yeah. Do we know how long it takes before that goes back in the pool? They say with that one, with Mega Millions, you get 180 days from the date of the drawing. I hope I don't have to have surgery again. Me too. Which one are we talking about here? I'm actually feeling better. You know, my guts are actually feeling better. Yesterday, I felt very sore inside. That's weird. Scary. But today, I actually, you know, I feel pretty good. But I think I'm definitely going to have the sinus surgery. Oh, really? Definitely. Doing both at once. I wonder, dude. You know what? Here's what I want to know. Actually, yeah. Seriously, I would. Why not? But here's what I want to know. I want to know if I can do my gut surgery proactively.
Or if I have to wait until something happens. You've already had this happen to you. So they know their scar tissue. Absolutely. They saw it on a CT scan. You can call your doctor and say, look, I'm really worried. I don't want this to happen again. I know that it's life-threatening. Yeah, they'll do it. You know, I'm covered in tattoos, but I really, really have a phobia about getting shots. And when they do the IV, My wife, I need her to hold my hand. Really? Oh, yeah. I get real freaked out. Oh, see, I... Okay, I was about to say I love it. That's not true. My wife doesn't care. It's not that I love it, but I'm not weirded out about getting shots, but if I'm going to get surgery, I'm like, get that IV going. I want to be knocked out. I don't want to feel any of this because I know that's what's coming next after the IV. When they say these words, my butt clenches up. When they say... You're going to feel a little stick here. Oh, yes. Oh, dude. Yes. I hate those words so bad. I get so tense when they say, you're going to feel a little stick here. And I even go, ah. But sweet relief is next. Don't they tell you to breathe? They go, like, deep breath. Yeah. I can't relax, though. I can't. See, Rob says that to his girlfriends. That's true. That is true. I like to give out flu shots. Oh, that's what he meant. That's what he meant.
Sky, what's the deal? What were you talking about? I don't know. Sky. What's up? Talk to me about the shoe thrower. Oh, yeah. So we were talking about this guy yesterday, the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush back in December. Well, you know, the court stuff is getting going. And so yesterday he issued like a statement basically refusing to apologize for his actions. Basically refusing to apologize for his actions. He said what made him do it was the humiliation that Iraq had been subject to due to the U.S. occupation. They got liberated. He wanted to restore the pride of Iraqis in any way possible apart from using weapons. Oh, you're welcome. He says that it wasn't premeditated, but he became enraged when he was listening to President Bush speak about his achievements during the press conference, and he just...
Took his shoes off and threw them at us. Totally understandable. Hey. President Bush. A lot of people get mad at me when I talk about how cool I am. President Bush, what happens? What do you mean people get upset because of how cool? Well, usually I tell them, you know, hey, I'm the bomb. You do? Like, check me out, dude. Oh, get it. Yeah, I do say that a lot. I like it. Probably shouldn't. On Twitter. Twitter. That's my status. You're a Twitterer? The bomb. That's cool. Yes. Hey, what's up with this shoe-throwing guy, President Bush? What do you think about this guy? Well, you know, I'm a little perturbed about this whole case. I'm actually hoping that Judge Judy gets this guy's case. She's one mean hombre. Yes, she is. She's really good. I don't think she's an Iraqi judge. Now that I got nothing to do, I mean, I'm watching her on the daytime television. Oh, are you? Is that what you're doing? If Judy doesn't get the case, I'm really hoping the case goes to the Honorable Judge Harry Stone. Ah, yes. That's not a real judge. That's not a real judge, President Bush. I miss Markie Post, don't you guys? She was cute. She was the chick on that show. I knew you wouldn't get that, Mike. I don't watch the TV too much. I can't believe the trial has been postponed, though. Really, President Bush? I decided with all the time on my hands these days I would act as the prosecutor. Really?
No. I'm pretty good, too. Really? Yes. I watch Law and Order. You do? Yes. That's really all you need. That's a television show, Mikey. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that makes you qualify? Well, honestly, Skye, I've also been studying Lieutenant Caffey from A Few Good Men. Okay. I don't, again, that doesn't make you qualify. Now, tell me what you guys think about... About what? About this, but I'm actually thinking of putting Colonel Jessup on the stand. I don't think that's with that. I think I can get him to track. Jack Nicholson's character is Few Good Men, yes. I think I can get him to track. I'll get him to say it. You will? Yeah. How will you do that? Well, because he can't handle the truth. That's right. That's right. I want to remove this shoe thrower's soul. No! I get what you're doing there. Not like that. I'm talking about from his shoes. You see what he's saying? S-O-L-E. Not S-O-L-E. I get it. I'm on one today. Yeah, you are. You are really on one. Next line. What do you mean, President Bush? You got a teleprompter? What are you doing?
It's upset. Okay. It's on cue cards. It's on cue cards. I think his... Can I get through this? Yes, I'm sorry. Hold the cue cards straight, Ashley. Who's that little boy talking? The girl. The girl. The woman. I think his punishment... Oh, yes. ...should be... That he has to walk on the set while Christian Bale is filming a scene. That would be bad punishment. You know what I mean? I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hey, Christian Bale, did you hear that flip out? That guy's a couple of K and short of a six-pack. Yes, he is. He sure is. He sounded crazier than one of Rosie O'Donnell's video blogs. Yeah. That's crazy. I got to tell you one thing, though. That shoe-throwing fella? Yes. Yeah, I think he's good enough to play in the big leagues. You do? Yes, he's got a hell of an arm. That's true. I was talking to Peter Gammons the other day, and I said he would fit right in with the White Sox. Oh, okay. He's got decent control for a lefty. Is that right? Of course, I called Kevin Towers. You did? When we walked out of that press conference, and I said, hey, KT, it's Bushy. Bushy. Yeah. I think I got one for you. Yeah. Oh, wow.
You're a scout? You guys are at all. I just didn't know you were a baseball scout now. I didn't know you were a baseball scout, President Bush. Hello, I own the Rangers. No, I forgot about that. Of course, you can pay him in couscous. Wait a second. Wait a second. The shoe-throwing guy, you pay him a goose goose? What's the matter with that? Yeah, that's racially insensitive. You're racially insensitive. Why don't you? Because Ayo is in the studio. That's nothing to do with it. That's racially insensitive. That's what I'm trying to say. You know, I don't think the shoe-throwers should go to jail, though. You don't? No, I mean... Tommy Lee did worse stuff in the Dr. Feelgood video. That is a good point. You know what I'm saying? I didn't even think of that, but that's true. Do you know what I'm saying? I understand what I'm saying. Here we go, Dr. Feelgood. Oh, get it. Get it, Bushy. Make it feel all right. Yeah. Get it, President Bush. Anyway. I wanted more. That was really good. Hey. Yes, President Bush. This is just coming off the top of my head. Go ahead. What have you got? Well, you know how everyone is talking lately about how great Barack Obama is? Yes.
I'd like to see Barack duck a pair of hush puppies with those big old ears of his. Every time. Every time. Hey, Alfred E. Newman, what's up? We get it. He has big ears. You've made that joke before. Fine, then I'll leave. No. I don't need this joke from you people. President Bush, we love you. We do not love you. We do love him. We do love him. No, we do not. He's awesome. Opposite. Okay, listen to this. When we come back, I got to do this. When we come back, there's a major grocery store closing here in San Diego County. Oh, no. Two locations. Bye-bye. Better not be my Vons. Well, I'll tell you where they are next. And we're going to do the three random facts about us. Three random facts about us next. The Mikey Show. Well, there's certainly no law against getting your enchiladas faster. Not to mention, I don't even drive... Tell it to the judge. or visit sdbalboa.org. Well, it's winding down here this morning. However, we do have some tough spots still out there. On surface streets, there was an accident at Fairmount at the 8th freeway, and that's resulted in the closure of northbound Fairmount as you come down the hill. Closed at Montezuma. Westbound Montezuma also shut down at Collingwood. They're making you turn on the Collingwood eastbound, and it's really confusing, and it's become quite a mess in this area, so expect some heavy delays. Try to get around there as best you can. Right now, our freeways are starting to ease up South 15. You're looking okay out of Escondido, but it does jam up from Mercy Road in Poway down towards Miramar Way. There was a stalled-out car in lanes that really caused a major backup there. Coaster rides still finding some brake lights and reduced speeds. South 5 out of La Costa and the Solana Beach, out of the South Bay, North 805. Also seeing a few more brake lights in the National City, but then very tough out of Cornea Mesa, heading up over to 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Good. Fresh. Sweet. KC. San Diego's Rock. When I was a kid... No supervision. I just, I wasn't supervised, and I was free to watch whatever I wanted. Eddie. Yes, Mike, I have a gambling problem. No. I mean, we all know. Boston Rob. I'm a catch. Come on, Mike. And Ash. Five-three. It's a great band, dude. They're a local band here in DFW. 97-1, the Eagle. That's pretty much quick. That's what? 97-1, the Eagle.
Welcome back to Mikey Show 819. And one of the things that's a big fad right now on Facebook is that people give 25 facts about themselves. Random facts. Random facts. Just weird stuff about you. And Sky and Boston Rob, they refused to join Facebook. Even though Rob said he was going to, he had made the commitment that he was going to. I was going to have my brother help me set it all up there. Maybe it'll still happen. You're like A-Rod, you're a liar. Maybe it'll still happen. Maybe you'll still do it. That's disrespectful, Eddie. That's right. But we decided we were going to, as a show, do our three random facts about ourselves. Now, these are probably things we've never said. Could be. Yeah. I mean, it's just random. I mean, it's not just random. It's just random stuff. Randomalities. Hey, listen, a random fact could be something real serious about yourself. What I like about your list on Facebook is that I didn't know like 90% of the stuff you put on there. Me either. It was really cool. Yeah. Here's a random fact about me. The smell of a skunk is not really that bad to me at all. Like I have never said this publicly, but it doesn't stink to me. That means you're weird.
Maybe I am. Somebody made a comment about that, and they said that to them, a skunk smells like carne asada. Really? That is wrong. That's racist. That is. To you guys, the smell of a skunk is just the most awful. I think a turd's worse than a skunk. Absolutely agree with that. But it's pungent. Yeah, it's pungent. It, like, hurts your nostrils. I'm a little desensitized to it. Stings the nostrils. Why would that be? Me too. Why are you desensitized? Oh, Skye. What's going on? Because she leaves the door open, is what she's saying. That is what Rob and I are saying. That's what they were both saying. Why are her and Rob, like, have this skunk? Because they smoke pot. Because they used to smoke pot. We had the best. Yeah, we used to. They used to smoke pot. Are you guys proud of yourselves? Yes. I actually am. I did a lot of great paintings when I smoked pot. I had a lot of deep thoughts. Some interpretive dance. So it really led you a lot. I did interpretive dance. I have an unnatural fear that when I open doors in buildings that something heavy is going to fall on my head.
I wonder why that is. I wonder where you got that fear from. No doubt in my mind it has a lot to do with Eddie putting that shoe over the door in Rochester. Way to go. Way to go, Eddie. You traumatized your friend. It also happened to my brother. You know those big heavy things over the doors? The big heavy things over business doors? My brother opened the door one time. One hit him in the head. Oh my gosh. That could really injure someone. Yeah. Did you laugh? No, I did not. So I have this creep out feeling that that's going to happen. It probably will. Here's a random fact about me. My first vehicle was a white Toyota pickup with foam sticking out of the seats. And I had a detachable boom box that I used as a radio. And it had speakers that came off the end of the boom box. And I put the right speaker over on the right side of the truck. And the left speaker over on the left side of the truck. And it was a cassette. And so I used to use the cassette player. And I used to have to change the batteries. It took D batteries. And every once in a while, and it was awesome when you changed the batteries because it was nice and loud. Now, you also had a detachable ashtray in that truck. Eddie, it was not. It would come in and out. No, Eddie. Eddie busted it and thought it was funny. Whoa! It wasn't detachable until you busted it. First of all, it was an accident. Yeah, but you thought it was funny. You didn't even apologize. Your reaction was kind of funny. Yeah, I got upset. Yeah.
Like legitimately upset. Well, sure. He just broke my ashtray. I smoked at the time. In your sweet ride. See, I really wanted you to not smoke. That was my way of getting into smoking. Oh, what a good friend. I actually care about your health. Wow. So, you know what? You're welcome. That was caring. You're welcome. That is sweet. That's three random facts about me. Yeah. Eddie, give me yours. All right. My first random fact about me is that I really look forward to making Sloppy Joes, not for the Sloppy Joes. I look forward to having leftovers, which I use the Sloppy Joe mix in burrito form. Nice. Nice. That's weird. So weird. That is odd. Like, why don't you just make burritos? When you make the burrito? Well, you have to have Sloppy Joes. You do? You have to, because, I mean, you're making Sloppy Joes. Let me interview you. Please. Get him, Mike. When you do the Sloppy Joe the next day? Yeah. Do you heat the tortilla? Do you heat the tortilla? Here is the recipe. No, I want to interview you. I want to ask you an interview form. One question at a time, sir. I must walk through this process. It's kind of hard to answer that question then. You put it in the microwave? How's it hard? Heat it on the stove? I heat the tortilla with the mixture in the microwave for 25 seconds. That's the first round. Together. You heat them together. Yes.
That's the first round. Then what? Then you put shredded cheese on top of that and pop it back in the microwave for another 15 seconds to melt said cheese. And that is a process I would not have patience for. And then you add sour cream and roll it up and enjoy. You're welcome, everyone. It's like a Taco Bell burrito supreme. Kind of, yeah. But with Sloppy Joe mix. I like your fact. Give me another fact about that. Better than the Sloppy Joe's. Thank you. 89 cents big burrito. Had no idea. Hey, Eddie, is Sloppy Joe's stuff you get in a can or is it a powder? No, you got to use the mix. Powder mix? Yeah. All right. You can use the ground beef mix. And you put it on a burger bun. Yeah. All right. Okay. Give me another fact. When I was a teenager, a girl once gave me the nickname Skeeter for no reason. For real. Shut up. Do I know who it was? All right, Liza. Thank you. Really? My friend Liza called me Skeeter for no reason. And I would ask her, why do you call me Skeeter? And she said, I don't know. Weird. That's like, I knew this girl that called me McGinty for no reason. Well, that sounds very smart and creative. Yeah, it does. It does. A genius probably came up with that. Like a serial killer. Yeah, I think she became a serial killer.
What's next, Skeeter? She was the only person that called me that. Not anymore. What else? My favorite memory growing up was when I was playing soccer and I had this really crazy game. It was in the mud and I was drenched in mud. I was the goalie. And both the referee and the opposing coach came up to my dad. who was at the game and said how awesome I was. Wow. It was my favorite memory growing up as a kid. That's awesome. Were you standing there when they did it? Yeah, I was standing right there, and I was like, holy cow, this is really cool. And I could see, like, the pride beaming off my dad. Yeah. And it was awesome. That's cool. So, yeah. Sky, give me some random facts. Top Sloppy Joe's, buddy. Oh, I'll top your Sloppy Joe's. Okay. I prefer cheese on things, not melted. If I'm making nachos, I don't want my cheese melted. It's not nachos then. Me and my husband fight about it. Me and my husband fight about it because he tries to put my nachos in the oven to melt the cheese and I will not allow it. That doesn't make any sense. I will not allow it. I want shredded cheese on my nachos and I don't want it melted. Cheese is to be nachos if it's not melted cheese. Who says? Life. No, life does not say that. Society. Yes. Question. Where have you ever seen nachos where the cheese isn't melted? Some places.
Sky, do you buy a block and shred it or do you buy that pre-processed? No, we shred our own. All right. Excuse us, big time. Dude, I would have hated your guts if you had bought that already shredded cheese. What's the matter with it? That's like plastic chips. Plastic chips? It's like shredded plastic chips. You're a cheese elitist. Yeah, I am. You are. I'll be honest. All right, so you like... A chelitist. I'm a chelitist. It causes problems in my household. I think it's a cheesier flavor the way you do it. Yeah, you get more flavor that way. All right, what else? Interesting. I am, like, proud of myself if I can go a whole weekend without leaving the house and or putting a bra on. That is something that brings pride to you? Yeah, like at the end of the weekend, I'll be like, that was awesome. I did not step outside my house all weekend, and I haven't worn a bra since I left work on Friday. See, a lot of women would be like, oh, that kind of bums me out, you know? No, I really accomplished something. I will take showers throughout the weekend and just go from pajamas to pajamas to pajamas.
Cool. That is awesome. Yeah. The husband gets really horny. I bet. I really accomplished something good when I do that. Oh, my mom. What else? So weird. And my final random fact about me is I go to all lengths to hide from my neighbors what I do for a living. Really? Yeah, to the point where I borderline lie. Like, they'll be like, oh, so what do you do? Oh, I work in communications. Oh. With satellites. Why? Skye, why do you hide it? What does that mean? Why hide it? Because I feel like they will judge me. Judge you? Yes. In what way? Wouldn't that be? Like they will not like me. Really? Why would somebody not like a radio? Talk host. Well, because I think at first they'll think it's like, oh, that's kind of cool. And then they'll want to listen and then they'll listen. And, you know, we're very uncensored on this show. We say like whatever we feel like, you know, we say stuff that if you're just talking to somebody you met for the first time, you're not going to say you're not going to be screaming about your political opinions or how you thought this thing was stupid or what that, you know. And so I feel like they'll hear that and they'll think that's a representation of like how I'm going to be if they invite me over for a dinner party.
I am over that. Like you would go to a neighbor's dinner party anyway. You don't ever want to leave the house. Oh, it's so cool when I don't. So I go to all lengths to try and hide what I do for a living. I had to get over the, and I'm surprised you haven't got over that. They're thinking you said this, you said that. People, oh man. Well, because I do say this and that. You know what I mean? But that's not how I'm going to interact with somebody I just met. You know, I've known you guys for years. And, you know, we don't censor ourselves on this show. We just talk about our feelings. And, you know, that's not how I'd be at a dinner party. So I don't want, oh, that crazy liberal chick next door. Oh, yuck, yuck, yuck. never go to a dinner party. Stop saying that. That is the truth. I'm invited to a pizza party this weekend and I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it. Thinking about it with Skye always means there's no way I'm going. I got the invite call last weekend and it's tomorrow and still haven't RSVP yet. I'm thinking about it. You are a bad person. Why don't you right now decide yes, I'm going to go.
What if you did? That's not a decision for me to make. I need to consult with the husband. I need to see how he feels about mingling with the neighbors at said pizza party. That sounds like fun. Yeah. Free pizza. But one of our conversations is they're going to ask, oh, so what do you do? You're a scientist. I like that. That's awesome. Just wear a lab coat to the thing. Just got out of work. Rob, you're up. Oh, man. Me? Okay. Weird. He's licking his fingertips. He's got it on a sticky note that's folded in half. And now can't open it. And now he can't open it. Is that good? Let's hear it. Come on. Whenever I go shopping, doesn't matter what store it is, and there's music playing, I sing to it. Out loud? Yeah. What, is it going to sing in my head? No, sing out loud. Give me an example of how loud. I think I told you guys this. I was at CVS. This was a while back, but this was, I was belting it. Like, no one, my brother, Sarissa, they all wanted to walk away. But Celine Dion. Loud? Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. Because I go into my own world.
Yeah, oh, yeah. It definitely depends on the tune. If I don't know the tune, then I kind of just high up and I'll make up my own lyrics. Yeah. I love singing while I shop. Yeah. It makes it fun. Yeah. I play tag with my dogs. Okay. Because I got two dogs. How do you? Yeah, does the dog really get the concept of tag? My German Shepherd 100% understands it. And you can run and hide. And I'll hide behind my bedroom door. And it was hilarious the other day because I was doing it this weekend. And I hid behind my door, but usually she'll kind of tail me so she knows where I go, but she had no idea. So I watched her nose peek into my room, look around, peek into my brother's room, look around, and then I heard her run back outside. Got you. She'll jump up and jump on you, and then she takes off. I'll bring her up here sometime because it's hilarious. It's hilarious. No, we're good. No, but we can kind of get how funny that is and everything. What's your third fact? I always eat cereal out of a mug. You always eat cereal. We got another one. When do you have that cereal? Why is it always breakfast stuff? In the morning.
For breakfast. Out of a mug or a cup? Oh, I do that too. You do not have it out of a bowl. It's way more fun to use a mug. It looks harder. It's less and it's harder. It's harder? No, it's easier. I'm a tough guy. I gotta go to boxing. That's what a guy would do in prison. Eat cereal out of a cup. And I use a fork. If everything's dirty, I use a spatula. You guys prefer the cereal out of a spatula? Well, it's easier because... Okay, I'm calling shenanigans. You said once you've used a spatula. How do you fit a spatula in a cup? Yeah, you're lying. These are lies. These are lies. Liar. You're A-Rod. I'll bring it in. All right. My white... What are the big... Well, maybe it's not called a spatula. What are the... Like, they're this big, they're plastic, and they're almost spoon-shaped at the end? A spoon-tula. Spoonchula. Yeah, it's like a... A spatchoon. You guys are being jerks, aren't you? That's what you eat with? It's got no spoon shape to it. If everything's dirty, yeah. Yeah, yeah, but you can still, because all I need to really... I hate that. No, no, no, because when you're eating out of the mug, all you need to do is really get a couple of good bites of the cereal, and then you can drink the rest, and you don't even need nothing.
I don't like to drink my cereal. He's got all the answers. What is wrong with that? All right, Ash, what are your three random facts? Oh my gosh. Sorry. Well, my first fact is when I was 12, like I had four dogs growing up. Like once I started getting into that wheelchair program where I raise dogs for people in wheelchairs. So I had one I was raising, then I had a breeder where we bred and whelped puppies for the program, and then I had two regular dogs. Yeah, they whelped them. That's called the guy. I don't know what that means. So I had four dogs, and this was like when I was 12, and I went through the process to register them in pet therapy, and I would take them around to nursing homes, hospitals, retirement homes, visit old people, sick people, injured people. When you were 12? With my dogs. I did it until I was like probably 16 or 17, like until I went to college. Huh. That's kind of a cool random fact. Yeah, that's nice. And then I used to ditch class my senior year in high school a lot. I probably ditched half my senior year. Yeah, me too. And the way I would do it is I would forge my dad's signature and say that my dad's giving me permission to go to an allergy shot. Because I used to get allergy shots twice a week because I'm allergic to everything. And so I would forge my dad's signature every day.
in ditch class. Where would you go? What were you allergic to? Well, I'm allergic to like everything green grass. Responsibility. The truth. That's awesome. Everything like green grass. I'm allergic to dust. I'm allergic to cats. Leprechauns. Yeah. And Easter Bunny. I would go to like Jamba Juice with my friends. Like we'd go to Jamba Juice. Whatever. The green Easter Bunny? He goes the Easter Bunny. Everything green, you know? Yeah. Weird. Everything green? That's what she said. That's why he said leprechauns. I was just saying other stuff. Why's it got to be green, man? That's what she said. That's the joke. Listen, man. He's out of control today. What the heck? Santa Claus. There we go. There we go. Now you're with me. Now you're with me. A 57 Chevy. Spam. Taylor Dane. What else? Give me another random fact. My last one is that I've never broken a bone. I've only fractured my wrist. And the way that it happened was when I was growing up. This was when I was like 10 or 11. How does one say? Don't analyze it. Not analyze it. I can't allow this. This isn't about you right now. This is her fact.
Spike. I've never had an operation except for the appendectomy I had. How do you get away? How does one get away with saying, I never broke a bone ever. And then follows it up with, except for the time I broke my... But breaking a bone and a fracture are different. How are breaking a bone and a fracture different? I'm going to get out of the way. Not very much. When you break a bone, the reason why it's called you break a bone is because you break it. When you fracture a bone, it's just a little tiny like a little bit. It's not broken all the way in half. But what is it a little bit? It's fracture. That's why it's called a fracture. It's different from breaking a bone. So you mean a break is when it breaks like in half. Like if you say that you broke your arm or you say that you... That's a fracture. Yes, Eddie. That's not a break, Mike. That's when you break. Don't. Make Havasu. She's really on one today. I want to hear the rest of the fact. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go ahead. So I fractured my wrist. I've never broken a bone. Right. Mike. She broke her wrist. No, I did not break my wrist. There's a difference. There's a difference. I'm right. You're wrong. Trust me. P1's calling. They're calling. Anyways. Tell me if you know.
Anyways, I fractured my wrist the way that it happened. I had a big trampoline in my backyard growing up. It was sick. One of those big circular ones. Yeah, those are fun. And me and my brother were jumping on it, and he did a butt drop and landed on my freaking wrist and broke it, or fractured it. Oh, no, no. Fractured it. There's a difference. Fractured it. Mike, don't leave. Out of here. No. Mike, me. Come back. Yeah, I misspoke, Mike. I meant to say fractured. Sorry. I'm going back to school. Just sit down. But she's nuts. I misspoke, Mike. I apologize. I fractured my wrist because he landed on it with his butt. So his butt fractured your wrist. The butt dropped. Yeah. On the tramp. It hurt, man. That's fascinating. Thanks for letting me share. Mikey show. Dude, you guys so need to have Ashley pull out a dictionary. The definition of fracture is a partial break. Yes. So it's not a full break. I'm right. Okay. Oh, boy. This girl over here. But you said you've never broken a bone. I've never broken a bone. You've partially broken it. That's not breaking it. Son of a gun. It's fracturing it. Get it? Outrageous, Mike. She's outrageous. I really like it. It's not that complicated. I don't.
I want to switch places with Scott. What will that do? Mikey Show. Hello? I'm calling about the fracture and the break thing. It's the same thing. Yeah, we know. No, it isn't. I'm going to fight for Ashley on this one. Thank you, Mike. I'm going to try to take her position. Get it, Mike. It is not a break. Really? Okay, there is a difference between a fracture and a break, okay? Let me explain. Let me explain. If you break a vase, okay? It means that it is in various pieces. Okay? If you fracture the vase, it's still intact. It has merely... It's a parcel break, right? But something has broken off of it. Yeah. Wrong. Wrong. You're going to have an uphill battle all of a sudden. If you fracture something, it is still intact. Right, but is it... Right, Ash? Is it okay? It is still intact.
So it's okay. It is still intact. Or is it broken? What? No, it is not broken. If it were broken. Then you would say it's broken. Yeah. It would be, by definition, it would be separated. Really, let's take a look at that definition. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It would be separated. It would be two different pieces. But isn't where the fracture is, isn't that a separation? 100%. But. I mean, that's a what? No, it's a fracture. That's why it's called a fracture. See, a fracture is what? What, Cindy? Cindy, what? Uh-uh. Uh-uh, girlfriend. Okay. Whoa, levels, levels, sweetie. My bad. Oh, man, sweetie is super. You're all in my face. I don't need it. She's going to spit in your face. Fracture. Noun. The actor process of breaking. Oh, that sucks. The condition of having been broken or ruptured. The characteristic manner in which a mineral breaks. Let's see. A break, rupture, or crack, especially in bone levels. Oh, really? You're screaming. Okay, really? Well, then how come there's no fracture dancing? Have you ever heard of fracture dancing? Have you? Not in a minute. Thank you. The Mikey Show. Oh, yes!

Just saying. Oh, then you're 100% right, Ashley. Mikey, I fractured my knee and it wasn't broken. It was cracked. That's P1 Spices. So a crack is not a break. A fracture. Mikey, I am a doctor. A break is a fracture. A fracture is a break. It's P1 Doc. I'd like to see your credentials. Mikey, so how are a fractured, broken, and cracked skull different? P1 Question. Mikey, want to let your listeners know that a mane just blew in La Jolla by Rock Bottom and UCSD. It's P1 Fitchy. He shakes it up in there. Is that okay if I do that? No. Are you guys cool with that? No. Definitely not. I don't know that I'm okay with that. Well, you know, at least consider it. Think it over. I don't want to. I will not. No, thank you. Text Mikey at gmail.com. There's so many things we still haven't got to. By the way, there's pictures of Ashley's feet on her blog today. Are we sure that's her feet? No. That's her feet? I thought that was her hand. I thought that was a bowl of menu, though. Oh. Okay.
I thought that was a stealth frame from Lord of the Rings. Okay, let's not. Ash. That is a tough looking foot. Why is there a picture of your foot? Why? That's a mean foot, isn't it? I mean, wow. If I was in a plane crash with her in the Andes, I would starve to death because I would not eat those feet. Those, wow. This little piggy became this little piggy. I mean... That is quite... Ash, why are your feet on there? Why are your feet looking like that? On your blog. Well, it's a close-up picture, okay? It's focused in. Why are your feet on there? Well, you got to read the blog, Mike. Well, can you give me a little... For the listeners that are listening right now that can't read it, can you give me an update? Sure.
Basically, long story short, I've worn this same toe ring on one of my toes for like over seven years. I can't tell which one. Yuck. Yuck. It's like you got a fracture there. Hey. So anyways, I told you yesterday. Shut up. I'm sorry. How'd you get it off? Yesterday, like, the toe ring, it was bothering me. And, I mean, I've never taken it off, not once, not one time in over seven years. And yesterday, it was, like, really bugging me. And so I'm like, gosh, maybe I should take it off, see what's going on. So for the first time, over seven years, I took it off. How? You just pulled it? Well, it's got, it's, like, not a full circle. Like, you can, like, stretch it and take it off. Right, right, right. It's pliable. What? So, basically, I took it off, and there was just an indent of the ring, like, in my skin, like, so crazy that I took a picture of it. It's on my blog for visual enhancement. MikeyShow.com. MikeyShow.com, if you want to see it. It happens. That's a heck of a foot, isn't it? It'll go away. It's funny, Sky. That's not the reaction you had when you looked at the picture for the first time. What?
I don't recall. It scared you. Yes. It scared the daylights out of you. Well, I was just taken aback. Not everybody can have perfect feet like you. That's right. Well, I know it was the indentation. I was just nervous for you. Sky has gorgeous feet. All right. Let's calm down. They're really pretty. Yeah, they've been a little neglected lately. I'm not going to lie. Your feet have been neglected? Yeah. They're not getting the pampering that they're accustomed to? Well, yeah. Like in summer, I'll always lotion them up nice and paint the toenails and stuff. But, you know, winter, whatever. It's all right. Everything's cool. Your husband is the luckiest man on earth. Thank you. That's really sweet of you to say. That's just amazing. He feels the same way. I'm sure he does. He does. You want to hear from Huge Jackman? Huge Jackman? Duh. This weekend's the Oscars, right? Yeah. Sunday. I have a game plan. I have... I have a number of stuff. Number of. But at the same time, I think it's also important as the host to be a little bit ready to go with whatever happens. Just stick your shirt off. Jack Nicholson sitting down there. They always say the same thing. The hosters. Oh, you got this person and you never know what's going to happen. Great actors and great people. Right in front of you. Right there. You can see them right there. No matter what you're doing.
You want to give people that sense that anything can happen. Oh, boy. Anything can. Oscars, Oscars, Oscars, and the movies. No singing. And it ain't like, listen, he's trying to make it seem like it's so unpredictable. It's not like MTV where really anything can. Like a shooting could break out if it was MTV Movie Awards. So true. Like a shooting could happen. But it's the Oscars, bro. Like how crazy is Annette Bening going to get? You don't know. Please. Come on. Let's hear Brad Pitt talk about his director. As a fan of films, I consider this a masterwork. You see, you really feel a sculptor's hand. Eddie, is Benjamin Button a masterwork? Ooh, wow. That's a tough one. I think it's a great achievement in film. I don't know that it's a masterwork. What is a masterwork? What do we consider that? Tenacious D. Oh, yeah. Masterwork is an all-time film. You look at it forever. Like Godfather. Godfather. Like a masterpiece, but not. Like Back to the Future? No. When you see this edit, it is something incredible. He's been on this thing for five years or so daily. He's put everything he has into this one. You feel it. I want to debate him. About what? Really? Yes, bring up the topic. Let's go for it. You think you would win? Yeah. Really? Yeah, he's...
You could hear his overconfidence like Yoda says, man. Overconfidence is what will defeat you. He never said that. He said something like it, right? He goes... The stuff you think is what will get you... It's the way you're all... I remember that. I'm watching the movie. It's like, what's up? Okay. That's another good quote. Hey! That's Grover. Eddie got recognized at Target. Oh, you're so famous. You are a celebrity. Shut up. Did you sign an autograph? I'm sorry. Dude, it was so crazy and awkward. So this kid comes up to me. He's like, dude, are you Eddie? I'm like, yeah. And he's like, can I get a picture with you? And I'm like, hmm.
Of course, you know, I'm flattered. Yeah, I'll take a picture with the kid. But it was right in the middle of the store. Oh, wow. His girlfriend, like, gets the camera phone ready and she's, like, can't figure it out. So I'm sitting there posing. That's the worst. It seemed like forever. Hold the pose. Hold it. There's people walking by going, like, what? Who is that? And why are they taking pictures? Is that how famous? Oh, dude, I was so uncomfortable and, like, coming out of my skin. Yeah. But, I mean, he really wanted it. Did he get it? Yeah, eventually he got it. Oh, nice. You got to figure out their camera phone. It can be tricky. Embarrassing. Sky, you ever have that happen? Every day. Like, hello. Can't go anywhere. Why do you think I barricade myself in the house? I don't barricade myself. It just happened in the lobby, okay? Right. It happens in the bathroom. Other employees. Yes, the paparazzo. Yes. What? Follow me everywhere. I had to spend five minutes with Chainsaw the other day signing out. Oh, brutal. Two Chainsaw. Yes. Okay, and Dave and Shelly. Signed Sky. I don't even write a message? No. You just signed signed, the word signed, comma, sky. Wow, very impersonal. That's how you are. Rob was driving up the 5 the other day and there was, this is, this really gets me. You know, I have to say. This is something that East Coasters do. I'm going to read to you from Boston Rob's.
Boston Rob's yesterday email. He says, I seriously hate the drivers out here. Now, this is an East Coast thing you're about to hear, okay? I'm already annoyed. He says, I hit traffic at 3.30 on the 5 North because there was one truck on the side of the road and everyone was stopping to look at it. People are idiots out here and need to focus on driving while they're driving and leave the stuff on the side of the road alone, you freaking idiots. Now, this is what's crazy about this, Eddie. Like he's saying. That on the East Coast, they don't look at accidents. It's strictly a West Coast. Straightforward, eyes always focused on the road, Mike. And the 10 and 2. Get out of here with that. No, not 10 and 2. I hate that. Come on. I've witnessed accidents driving through New York City, going to visit my mom, going to visit her family, where I've seen two people just collide, get rear-ended. and people are still going 60 miles an hour around them. I believe that. Dangerously. That is an amazing group of people. You guys are the best. Thank you. You really do see a lot out there. I appreciate that. The fact that you don't care about anyone. The disregard for human life is beautiful. You witness accidents and do nothing. You guys are great. I'll let Captain Sarcastic finish up his little
spiel here. Oh boy. Dude, it was a pickup truck already on a tow truck. And people were slowing down. No, not slowing down. Stop. That's a lie. Stop. I was stuck. I was in the fast lane. So people were pulling up and slamming on their brakes. Yes. Yes. Right at Villa De La Valle. West Coast. I can't believe you Californians. It happens all the time. They all, all of the East Coast. No one's curious. Curiosity does not exist. It's not that. They don't look at any. They have blinders on. If you're going to pass an accident, you don't have to fully come to a stop. It's a fast lane. If there are people in front of you who are stopped, what are you supposed to do? That's right. See, I heard, Rob, because I actually believe you. I heard that, like, we're... I'm going to knock Eddie out. Go ahead and try. Mentally. So let me ask you, Eddie. I love the point that Eddie was making about Heath Ledger this weekend. Say this again. What happens? How would you feel if you're the guy nominated for Best Supporting Actor and you win over Heath Ledger, who everybody is expecting to win? Who else is in that? You beat a dead guy. Congratulations. Enjoy. No more. But it's tough.
to go up against Heath Ledger. He's so good. He's going to win. Josh Brolin, Robert Downey Jr., Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Michael Shannon. Let's think about Robert Downey Jr.'s performance for a second in Tropic Thunder. That would win over Heath Ledger. He's got to go up there and give a speech. I just want whoever, if it were anybody else but Heath Ledger and they get up there and they're like, I'm just glad that the Academy was fair about this. Because the truth is, I earned this. Let me tell you something. Everybody, please, if you just give me a moment. This is my moment. If you don't mind. Keith Ledger, whatever. I outacted him. Listen to me. Let me tell you something. I understand that this man is no longer with us, but I was better and I deserve this. And thank you to the Academy for not just playing the death card. Okay? Because I was betty a win, you know? It's impossible. You can't. Okay, odds. Okay, if somebody... Let me ask. Let me get the question out there. If Heath Ledger doesn't win, what are the odds that the person accepting the award that does win does not mention Heath Ledger in their acceptance speech? Negative 1,000. There isn't. He'd be the most hated person in the world. Yes.
But it's his moment. It doesn't matter. It is not about Heath Ledger. Good luck, buddy. So wait a minute. You're telling me that if Josh Brolin wins, gets up, thanks the producers of his film, thanks his loving wife, and thanks the Academy, he's a jerk? Yes. The worst. A thousand percent. He's a jerk for even showing up Sunday night. He shouldn't even bother to show up. Let me ask. So does the mention of Heath Ledger need to come at the beginning, middle, or end of his speech? Any part. All of it. The entire speech. Just give it to Heath. If somebody else wins, they will. They will dedicate it to Heath. No doubt about it. Well, yeah, dedicate it, but they got to give the award. Well, he's dead. He's actually dead. And that's the deal. He's passed away. You're a bad person. If you don't dedicate it to Heath Ledger, you're bad. You're awful. You're a bad guy. You are a horrible person. You're worse than the jokers. You don't have a heart. You know what I mean? You have to get up there and say, listen, I'm winning this award, but this is what it sounds like. I would just like to say thank you to the Academy, but listen, this award tonight really should go to one of the finest and already people. I realize this is the greatest moment of my life, but I have to take a second and dedicate this award to the greatest.
non-living actor ever, Heath Ledger. Heath Ledger. Heath Ledger's dad says that he will accept the award for Heath if Heath wins. If Heath wins. Please. Everybody quit pretending Heath Ledger won. I should go out there and do it. It's me, Batman. No. I accept the award. Why do you talk like that? Listen, don't. That's how Batman talks. You people are all trying to act like he won. He hasn't won anything yet. He's gonna. You don't know. I do on Batman. We might say a few words, yeah. Why is techno music necessary on these shows? Because it shows you there's something happening. Hey, look over here. We'll see you while we're here. While we're here, we'll be seeing you. And if he does win, the Oscar will eventually go to... Also, are we going to talk to Nancy O'Dell? We might be talking to her. I want to ask Nancy. Nancy, why is it necessary to speak in this affectation when doing reports?
Please, please. It's very important. When doing a Hollywood report, why is it necessary to use inflection like this? Yeah. How come you can't just talk? How else am I going to get the message, Mike? Yeah, how else will people understand? That's true. His three-year-old daughter, Matilda, when she... Matilda? Not Matilda. No. Matilda... Turns 18 into... 18? 1,023. 23. Or when they throw it. I forget what I was watching. Someone was throwing it to someone else and they were like, and now here you go, Kim. Oh, I hate TV. Oh, I hate it. Like, oh my. I want to reinvent it. Let's reinvent it. Seriously. We'll create our own channel. I love that. That's good. Yeah, they're awesome. No, I think this is cake. Wait. It's a fine young cake. What is this? It was nine years ago you got fired, Sky. No, it was just like a month or so ago. Is that right? What? Well, are you talking about the first time you got fired? I'm so sorry to hear that. Which time are you talking about? Blender got fired? Yeah. I know. Ay, ay, ay. Oh, that guy a phone call. Hi, welcome to Coffee-Rama.

And I'm talking to you whether you are a 25-year-old dude, whether you are a 35-year-old woman. It doesn't matter who you are when there's something going on with your vehicle. And I'm talking about if you've got the check engine light on so you've got a transmission issue or you're driving around and you go, oh, man, I've got to get that oil changed.
My dad told me one time, you change oil every 3,000 miles, your car will run forever. And he's right. And you can do that at Amco. In fact, you should do it at Amco. It's where I do the oil changes. These techs that they have working at Amco, they've got to take tests on a pretty regular basis to make sure that they know what they're doing. And as much as you love the guy that's working at the shop right down the street, which I do, I really like that the guys at Amco are up on what they're doing and they're knowledgeable on what they're doing and they've got to be certified. I like it.

sleep train mattress centers. Well, the commute's winding down, looking pretty good on most of our freeways. No major problems here, but on surface we've got that major situation here on the northbound Fairmount at the 8th freeway. An accident here has northbound Fairmount completely shut down at Montezuma. You're getting turned off at Montezuma. You've also got Montezuma westbound closed at Collingwood. You're getting turned on Collingwood off there as well. A lot of major congestion and confusion in the area. Try to avoid it if you possibly can. Other than that, we're looking good. But if you're heading out of town up into Riverside, just keep in mind if you're traveling northbound 15 and want to take that 215 off, can't do it. Just detours and plays. They're going to take you off at Murrieta, then put you back on the 215. They're repairing a major sinkhole there. That should last all weekend long. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know. Eddie. I love Wookiees. Scott. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Yeah. What is that? I've put some strange music up here. Just men without hats. Where is Rob? Do you really not know where he is? I have no idea. Yeah, he said something about water earlier, but I don't know. But he can't just disappear. Go to the well. Go to the well?
He comes in and he's just like oblivious that we're on the air. We're all staring at him. Everyone's quiet. Ah, fresh bottle of Carrier. Carrier. I went to get one of the P1 some water and got myself some water. Rob, what is this song? The Bravery. That's the name of the band? Yeah, that's the band. Is this a new band? No. It's like, is this Honest Mistake or I forget the name of the song. 80s, 90s? No, no, no. Yeah, yeah. Recent. You know, past five years. No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, he is my brother. He is my brother. I love him. What's so funny? I'm just trying to get an answer here. Thank God. Well, I thought you were going to use the 80s, 90s. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, no. So I say no, no, no. It's the 80s, 90s. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's more recent. All right. You follow? No. Not at all. Not yet. Not at all. I do not.
No. Whatever. This question is for Skeeter. It says, hey, Skeeter. Oh, Eddie. That's the chance. Yeah. Do you think Ben killed Penny? This would explain why he was bloody at the docks. I've heard this theory. This is interesting. Well, Ben did say that he had one last thing he had to do, a little loose end he had to tie up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we know that he said he would kill Penny. Yeah. So that could be why, but I don't know why would he be beat up. She fought back, bro. You think? Yeah. You can text us at textmikey at gmail.com. This text says, Mikey, how long are Ash's toes in kilometers? Not cool. Are we talking width? They said long, which means length. Okay, my bad. Pay attention to the question. Ashley, what's up? Look at that shirt today, though. She looks great. She looks beautiful in the hair, very professional. From the feet up, she is gorgeous.
I would say from the ankles up. She's beautiful from the ankles up. From the ankles down, it's like something tragic happened. From the ankles down, something tragic happened. I am sorry, Ashley. That is messed up. It's like the body from the river's edge. How is it messed up to tell somebody how gorgeous they are? You called her feet tragic. I didn't mean to say tragic. What do you mean? Terrible. Tragic is better. Tragic's better? Yes. This text message to textmikey at gmail.com says, Mikey, I'm here in the studio right now, and it's great watching the show going on during commercials. This is great. It's funny how Eddie beats on Sky physically. That's P1 art. You're welcome. Sitting behind Sky. It is. Yeah. I don't think so. You don't think that's funny? No, I don't. Can we do the old Chris Brown Rihanna thing? Too soon, really?
Apologize. Apologize. Wow. This text message comes to us at textmikey at gmail.com. It says, hello, Mikey. I broke my left arm, fractured my right arm. When I saw the x-ray side by side, huge difference. Ashley is correct. How do you like that? I can't talk about that anymore. I mean, it's like, it's, please. It's the difference between fracturing and breaking. It's a scale. Listen, the jury is kind of split. Okay, so Skye, tell us what grocery store is closing. Skye's been screaming at me, just screaming at me. You mentioned it earlier and we hadn't talked about it, so I was gently reminding you. Anyway, there are two Albertsons that are closing their doors today. Really? That's so stupid. One is in Chula Vista on East Orange and Melrose. The other is in Encinitas on El Camino and Encinitas Boulevard. Their sales just are bad. They're not doing good. And they're going to close another San Diego County store in April. That's in Claremont on Balboa and Claremont. Are you freaking kidding me?
I know all the people that work there. Oh, great. This isn't going to help the economy. He loves that store. He does. That's why I got my cookie that I was eating this morning. They had the best cookies ever. April 9th, bro. Three for 99 cents. You can't beat it. You better get in there and start singing your songs. You can buy a whole package for $3.99. No, three for 99 cents. Oh, okay. Dude, what do you think? I'm sorry. I think I am Matt Dillon. Get out of here. Matt Dillon. What kind of money do you think I have? Dylan. That is so weird. This is not helping to see what I'm talking about. No, I don't. Everything is close. I'm freaking out. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to play a game that has to do with Dennis Miller's references. Oh, yes. Now we're going to see if we're going to see, we're going to exclude Eddie and I from this contest. Oh, man. Sky, Rob. or Ashley can participate. All you have to do is get one of Dennis Miller's references. Wow. Okay. Now, what do you like about Obama? You said you liked him. What does he like? Well, I like the fact that he knows Biden's an idiot. I mean, the fact that the first time Biden's out of the country, he's ripping in a new one at the press conference, laughing at him. Because let's face facts, Biden steps in it more frequently than a blind scatologist at Pamplona. I get that. Talk to me, Sky.
A blind guy in Spain with the running of the bulls, and there's poop on the ground, and he's stepping in it. Wrestling scatologist, got it. And well done. Well done. I also like the fact that he's now my commander-in-chief. I swore I wouldn't hate Bush when he was... It's a tough gig, sending boys and girls in harm's way. Now, he has to send 17,000. Kids, I say my prayers for him. God bless. I mean, and I think it'll change his mind now on meeting with this pig, Aqua Velvijat, over in Iran when he actually has to. I mean, that job is what it is. Yeah, that is a, you know, if he does take that meeting with Aqua Velvijat, I hope it's like Michael meeting Sollozzo in the Godfather film where. Holy. Not a clue. I don't know. I hope it's like Michael meeting Sollozzo. Wow. In the Godfather. What a reference. Dude. I mean, that's unbelievable. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What is that, you guys? It's when he walks into, well, he goes to the bathroom. And when he goes to the bathroom, there's an Italian restaurant. He's having dinner with a guy named Salazzo. He goes into the bathroom. There's a gun waiting for him behind the toilet. He comes out of the bathroom and blows Salazzo away. Okay. Now, that is a deep reference. Salazzo. Like, you drop Salazzo, you're awesome. Yeah. You're money. Yeah. That is Dennis Miller's gift is the reference.
Yeah, I used to listen to him on the radio. You did? Yeah. I just, I appreciate his, like, knowledge of terminology, I guess, and, like, the stuff he says. Pop culture? Yeah. Or just, like, he could take, you know, a normal guy's, like, dialogue, I guess, lexicon, I don't know, and he just makes it this whole other, like, smart thing. So, like, you know, I say a sentence. Kind of like what you're doing right now. Yeah, yeah. I'm trying to put smart words to what I'm trying to say, and I can't do it, but he does it. I don't know. We saw that. I don't know. We got that part. He studied the dictionary way too much. Yeah. P1 gunslinger is on the line. In this case, don't read a book, kids. I got a legitimate question for Ashley. All right. Does she put perfume on her ankles to take away the...
All the attention from her long, nasty toes. Oh, that's not necessary. See, you've got to phrase it in a mouth. It doesn't even make sense. Gunslinger, you've got to phrase it cleverly. And, you know, to each their own. I'm sure a lot of people are really into those feet. Yeah. You know. Like who, Mike? No, Mike, don't. Like who? Who are we talking here? People. People. Thank you, Mike. People. Actually, I think you're great. I do too. I do too. We all do. Thanks. Anyone want to know something? You point one big toe at yourself. It's like you're pointing two big toes back at yourself. I think they're all big toes. It's just weird. Anyway. It's like one big pinky. It's like five pinkies going on over there, right? No. Point one pinky toe at you. If you point one, yeah, let me tell you. Yeah. Point one pinky toe into you. How many? It's like you're pointing three pinky toes. Pigs in a blanket. Right back at your piggy. Yeah. What? That's what I'm saying. Blow the house down. Huh? Guys, Kate Winslet says she's not going to get naked in movies anymore. Oh, thank God. Wait, what? Oh, hey. You don't like Kate Winslet. She is gorgeous. That is not nice, Robert. Oh, really? Yes. No. I'm mad at you now. Aw.
Kate Winslet, Ralph? She's great. What's her problem? That's the broad from the boat that sunk, right? Yeah. Titanic? Yeah. Another pop culture reference here. Remember Lemon? Remember that? Oh, yeah, yeah. Whoever they're having to eat. No, she has eyebrows like a man. What does that have to do with her being nude? What does that have to do with her being nude? Who notices man eyebrows? But, like, what is that to do with it? That's not even true. I don't know. I'm finding a picture. Find a picture. No, that's not even true. She's Jonas Brother Ira. Why is she not going to do that anymore? Well, she's been naked in quite a few movies, especially in her latest one, The Reader. I guess there's quite a bit of nudity in there. And she says that's probably... That movie looks so boring. She says that's probably... And British. It looks so boring and British. She says that's probably the last time she's going to get nude. She says she doesn't think she's going to do it again. She's a never nude now. She's got guy brows. Wrong. That's a good one, Rob. That's not cool, man. Really thick guy brows. No.
I mean, her eyebrows are darker than her hair color, but I don't see anything besides that. It's like a couple of caterpillars. Nothing. In high school, they called her bro. Really? That's all you thought? That's not clever either. That's not clever either. You and Dennis Miller are the same. Yeah, it's like the same guy. I know, I know. You guys are good. You can tell. You know what? I've got to study life. Send me the link. Let me see what you're doing. It's like she's got mustaches above her eyes. I'm so dumb. I think that that's like it provides character. Yeah. You know what she looks like to me? You're like Groucho Marx. Kate wins it honestly. Honestly, if somebody said to me, if somebody said this person is related to Scarlett Johansson, I would believe it. And I would also relate if they said that person is Madonna's little brother. No. Rob. It's not nice. I think she's hot. I didn't mean to be beautiful, dude. You are so critical. I'm sorry. She's beautiful. I don't see it. I don't see it. Wow. Hey, for the record, every girl.
Has guy eyebrows until they do something to them. The guy brows. Guy brows. Every woman, all right, has a couple of hot dog. Okay, no, they don't. Has a couple of hot dog size eyebrows until they take the wax. Hot dog size. Don't you try to block that. With the bun. Her mouth is full of water. You leave her alone. It's with the bun. Yeah. That is not true. Until they wax them. Every woman. It's like Kobayashi's drooling looking at her eyebrows. Okay. That's ridiculous. That is so stupid. It's like two little kids rolled up in blankets across every woman's head until they do something. Okay? It ain't just Kate Winslet. So she goes a little bit more. A couple of Tom Selleck mustaches. It's like Han Solo's co-pilot. All right. Laid down and took a nap above her eyes. That's awesome, man. That's what we were talking about? I think that's what sank the boat. That's what saved her life. I think she's beautiful. That's why she's so buoyant. She is pretty. Orca, what's up? Hey, I have a question for Bob and Rob. Go ahead. Do you see any resemblance...
between Ashley's foot and Sarah Jessica Parker's feet. What's the matter with you? That's a rude thing to say. I would never compare her foot to something so, you know. I don't want to be mean, but let's just spin on the same realm. I mean, you just spent 10 minutes on how ugly Kate Winslet is, and you don't want to now insult Sarah Jessica Parker. Is that where you draw the line? All right, fine. Good morning, family. This is the Mikey Show. For five days in March, right here in San Diego, behind every pitch. Todd wrote me an email. Tell everybody what you wrote me in the email. Mikey, I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Cunningham pillow top over at Sleep Train two weeks ago, and it was just an amazing experience. The salesperson gave me 10% off before he even knew I was in there for the Mikey show. And then I used the Ace card and said, oh, Mikey told me to come in, and I got an additional 10. So all in all, I saved 20% on the mattress.
And I bought it at Mission Valley at 11 o'clock. They had it delivered and installed in Chula Vista by 2.30 on the same day. That's rad. And what's even more amazing, since it was a Cunningham pillow top, it was personally delivered by Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber. It was just an amazing experience. That's awesome. Hey, how do you like sleeping on it? It's amazing. I never had any problems sleeping before, but with the new mattress, it's even better. It's completely amazing. I would recommend Sleep Train to all the P1s out there. And Richie Cunningham and Potsy Weber delivered it. Absolutely. You can definitely meet Richie and Potsy if you get the Cunningham pillow top. Hey, this is Flava right here. I got to switch it up. That's Flava. Thank you very much. Thank you. I'm going to go back and sit down and rob you back on. All right, back to me. Hey, did you guys hear that there's a dude from the movie The Wrestler that got arrested? No. This guy, who is it? I'm an old broken down piece of meat. Yeah, I haven't seen the movie. But I guess in the movie, this guy plays the wrestler's steroid dealer. Oh, that guy's huge. Yeah. It's this giant, you know, weightlifting looking guy. And they're sitting in a locker room, on a locker room bench, and he's going, what do you want? I got, you know, two quarters of this, blah, blah, blah, $400. I'll give you this for $125. I got Android, $225. I got Percocets, $260. He's listing off all the different stuff he's selling. Yeah, well. Guess what he was arrested for in a big bust yesterday? Come on. Get out of here. What? Steroids. Get out. Come on. A huge steroid bust. What is that? 1,500 bottles of anabolic steroids. Over 10 grand in cash found. Dude. I guess he had been under investigation for a while and then was driving and spotted an unmarked car following him. So he took off.
crashed his car through a fence, rammed three police cars, two DEA cars. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, so he is in some serious trouble. Wow. Yeah. Wow. That's nuts. Blink-182. Why are they saying that they broke up and why are they getting back together? Well, they did a new interview with Rolling Stone because, you know, they announced at the Grammys that they're getting back together. And in the interview, they say they basically broke up in early 2005 because they were sick of fame. Fame. They were tired of it. They say their band turned into this giant vehicle that determined everything and they really needed to find themselves and get away from it all. So they broke up and then. They said one of the things that really brought them back together was when their drummer, Travis Barker, was in that really bad plane crash and almost died. And so I guess they kind of put everything aside and got in contact with each other and reached out. And they said basically after a couple phone calls, everything was back to normal and they want to make music together again. Sky has a list of unforgettable movie songs.
I'll take it down. I can show you the world. I'm going to die. That's got to be in there, right? I mean, you sang that 70 times yesterday. No. That's not on the list. No. My heart will go on the thing beyond. It's number one, right? Hold on. Put it on the board. Oh, yes. Number eight. Get it, Eddie. Number eight. Get it, Eddie. Playing with the boys. That real masculine scene from Top Gun. Footloose. Stone song. In the beginning of Departed. It's that unforgettable, Rob? Really? She's got a point there, Rob. She does have a point. She does have a point. Footloose. No. Fame. Fame. Yeah. What about Michael Zambello, Maniac? Yeah. How about... Is that not on the list? That's a great guess. Can you say to me... That's not on the list. If I don't acknowledge you, it means I'm ignoring you. Arthur's theme. Arthur's theme. Chris Cross. Put it on the board. It's not on the list. This list sucks. Bunch of people calling in with guesses. Duel of Fates. Eddie. Star Wars. Welcome to the Danger Zone.
Hello? Highway to the Danger Zone. This is called Danger Zone. He's still working on it. Rick, go ahead. Yeah, Mikey, how about every song from Karate Kid? You're the best around. Yeah. Are you proud of yourself? What is the matter with you? What? What about Blaine? Hey, Cindy. Cindy. Cindy. Cindy. Quindy. Cindy, write their guesses up there for me, okay, so I can see what they are. Thank you. P1 Joe. Hey, I can't remember the name of the song, but Evanescence. Oh, yeah. Bring Me to Life. Bring Me to Life. What movie is that in? It wasn't. It had a music video, though. Did no one see Beautiful Girls? Howie Wowie. I was tricked into seeing it.
And it turned out to be great. What about Danger Zone from Top Gun? No, unfortunately not. Can you guys leave them alone? P1 Caesar. Life is a highway. I guess I take my breath away from Top Gun. What about the Bee Gees from Saturday Night Fever? I had it, dude. Hello. You Should Be Dancing is number four. Thank you. Look at mine. We're all done. No. Is there anything from Tootsie? Yes. Is there a song from the movie Tootsie on there, Scott? No. It's a great film, Tootsie. Yeah, I love Tootsie. It's about a transvestite that falls in love with Dabney Coleman. That's it. It's 100% correct. I think that was what the movie was about. It's the first transgender film in American cinema. Tootsie. Okay. I love it. P1 Chris. What's up? Which one? The one that I want from Grease. Thanks. No. No? Sorry. Nothing from Grease. Theme from Shaft. Thanks. Something from Pretty Woman. P1 300. Oh, Roy Orbison. What about the Aerosmith I Don't Want to Miss a Thing Armageddon? Good guy. Gingerbread. Yeah.

Number seven is old time rock and roll from Risky Business. I hate this list. Number six. Your lists have been real bad. I don't know what she's writing. This is AOL's list. Your lists are terrible. Number six is In Your Eyes from Say Anything. Yes. I was thinking that. Number three. I was thinking In Your Eyes I didn't know a movie.
Number three is Tiny Dancer from Almost Famous. That's a good scene. How did I not guess that? And finally, the number one most unforgettable movie song, Bohemian Rhapsody from Wayne's World. Oh, wow. Mike, again, you played the drum roll before. We already played the drum roll after you get the answer. We already. What was the second most popular one? Let's see. Eminem, Lose Yourself. That's right. Oh, my God. All right. Well, maybe next week. Whatever. I like that better. It kind of adds a little bit of excitement. It does. It's the opposite. This guy's got the new movies coming out this weekend. Yeah, we got some really good ones, you guys. Oh, I believe you. I believe you. That means they're not good. Well, we have Fired Up. Oh, Fired. The cheerleader one? Yes. I think that's going to be funny. Two popular guys in high school ditch football camp to join cheerleaders at your camp? Let's hear a scene. Okay, good. Not only is that move nearly impossible to execute, it's extremely dangerous. That move is prohibidado. Prohibidado. And I say that in Spanish because that's how exotic and not allowed it is. There you go. It sounds like a fantastic film. That sounded horrible. Dude, the trailers look funny.
Yeah. They do. What else? And then there's only one other movie coming out this weekend. Oh, good. And that is Tyler Perry's Medea Goes to Jail. Yes. My brother, Mark, loves these. Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. Doesn't miss one of them. Doesn't miss one of them. Oh, yeah. He loves them. I see nobody told you I run this prison. I'm Big Sal. And what Big Sal wants. Big South. Get. I guess nobody told you that I'm going to be a mud to the damn D-E-A. You understand that? And what I want, I get. I come to West End. That's where we cut our food first and rot like hell afterwards. Isn't that funny to like everybody in his family that knows his aunt that he's imitating? Like his cousins think that's the funniest thing that they've ever seen. It's like a foreign language to me. Oh, man. It's like me imitating my uncle or my aunt. Or your little cousin. I'm imitating my... How dare she? How dare she, Eddie? See, even she knows she was wrong. Even she knows that she wronged me. She wronged me. Eddie is struggling to maintain a sense of decorum with what she just did. I thought we were just... I thought...

There it is. You want Spam Jelly. Thank you, Spam Jelly. Thank you very much. P1 Danny, who runs P1Site.com, has got something pretty fun going on on P1Site on your podcast, right? Yeah, we're actually going to be doing a podcast tonight with Sean is calling in for an interview and Blunder is going to be in studio. Nice. Too soon. That's awesome. Dude, I want to hear that. Do you have enough bandwidth to handle that? Can you book them for our show? That's right.
Well, yeah, if you guys go to poneside.com tonight at 8 o'clock, it'll all be live on the interweb. Rad. All right. Dude, that's cool. Yeah. Tell Sean that we said hello. Okay. Thank you. Have you and Ashley made up, Eddie? We were never fighting. Why are you trying to start stuff between us? Well, it looks like you guys are IMing, you know, I'm sorry's and I love you's. You told her that her underarm pits were leaking. Dude, look at them today. They're incredible. And then you said, you can't wear gray sweetie. And it was the sweetie that I think. But mine was genuine. What? Not when you say sweetie. You can't say sweetie at all. I mean it. No. Not with that tone. Like, I'm really curious what she would do if she was wearing that shirt on a date. She wouldn't wear it on a date, right, Ash? Well, it's a beautiful top. I think she looks great, but then you got the pits working and they're like crazy. Would you wear that on a date, Ash? Mm-hmm. You would. See? You just, listen. Ash told us, I remember the moment you told us this. We were in Vegas. We were walking into that restaurant, Simon. Mm-hmm. And you said, you have to be up front from the very beginning with your men. You know, listen, this is the deal. Mm-hmm. You either take it or you leave it. I sweat my pits, okay? Mm-hmm.
Yeah, well, I just, you know, it's a package deal. Get it out there. It's amazing today. Let it be known. Don't hide it. You can't. Nah. Like, how can she hide it? If they can't handle it, it's like a woman that has a kid, and she has to say, listen, I got a kid. That's Ashley's kid. She has to say, listen. Hold on a second. You either need to know this now, and if you're out on me, I don't even want you. If you don't like my kid. Wait, you have to like? Yes. No, you have to love. I don't want to, no. I don't know that you have to love it. It's loving you. I don't have to love everything about you, do I? Yes. You do? I wouldn't say that. No way. It's impossible. It is impossible. I just think that it's a... It's a big deal. To some. And those some... To people that like to make a big deal out of nothing. What bike? Why is she going to drown? She's not going to drown. In order for her to drown, she'd have to inhale it. Well, it's practically to her neck. Look at it. Look at it.
It is incredible today. So it's creeping around the sides, but it's not up to her neck. Skye, that was kind of passive aggressive the way that you said it. I'm being descriptive. Ashley, I'm sorry that she just said it. The way that you said it is so comma. Ashley. It's creeping around her neck. I like how I'm the jerk. Ashley, I'm so sorry. Out of all the crap they've said today, I am the jerk. Ashley, I'm so sorry she's like that. All right. Are you okay? What? Shut up. I can't wait for the after show today. Oh, no. Oh. It's going to be something else. Who are you interviewing for the after show? Me, me, me, me. How do you pick? Do you go in order? No, I just, on the, like, whatever day, I'll just, like, whatever we talked about that day and just try to find the most. Who makes sense today? But I do have to, I rotate the people, yeah. Who makes sense? I haven't really thought about it. Ashley interviews a person after the show about what happened on the show. I was, I was going to, I thought I was going to interview Rob because he's the only one who hasn't gotten interviewed this week. Yeah, Rob, you should be interviewed. Yeah, yesterday was the four of us squeezing on the couch together. That was fun. Talking about the Disney movies. Let's see. Okay. It's so hurtful the way she does that, you know. She's trying to help. She's so bad. Well, we have notes, you know, about the show that I need to say on the air. And they're written on a dry erase board. And Sky just did this thing right now that wasn't even passive aggressive. It was more just outwardly aggressive where she just.
Like, are you okay? Yeah, like I'm an infant. She held it in front of my face. What's up? So Sky wants me to mention that you can rate our bits right now at MikeyShow.com. Ooh, rate them. Yeah, it's exciting. It's new. Every single bit that we have. Now, if you're not a registered user, it's real easy. How do you do that, Sky? You just go, so you click on the page to rate the bits. And at the very bottom, there's a little spot where you just, you know, type in your email and create a password. And that's all you have to do. And then you're good to go. And then you can rate all our bits 1 through 10 and tell us, you know, what you like and what you don't like. And it's cool. Yeah. Cool. It's so sweet. Helps us know what you like and what you don't like. Whenever anybody sends me anything on Facebook, I always click the button, ignore all invites from this user. Really? Yeah. Why? Because I don't want. The little things. You don't want to be invited into the mafia? No. What? Nope.
You get that one a lot lately? I hate that. I hate all those. I would do those, except that they want all this. Like a virtual hug. You have to walk through a process. A lot of work. I don't like the work. I'm not a part of that stuff. I'm not a part of any of it. Sky and Rob do not have a Facebook. And when you get the invites from people, it lists all the people who have invited you previously, like Mike Esparza. It does that? Yeah. I got one today, and it lists the people who have previously invited you to be on Facebook. Really? That you've declined. Yeah, it sends it to your email. Sky, will you just get on there? Will you leave me alone? Please. Go to lunch. Just go to your wall. My goodness. Go to your wall. Let's see. Thank you. Hey, one of our listeners went and saw comedian Mal Hall. What? Yeah. Great comedian. Oh, man. Mal was awesome. Oh, he's funny. He was so funny, and it was such a great show. My wife and I and my brother and sister-in-law went last night. It was the San Diegans. You've got to get out there and keep supporting this thing at the Comedy Store because they were fantastic. He's coming in next week. Oh, is he? Yeah. Mal Hall will be in studio next week. I love him. Yeah, he asked me yesterday if he could come in the studio next week to promote something, and I said, Yeah, sure. Good guy.
Thank you, bro. He's great. Oh, you're welcome, guys. Cheers and have a great one. Thank you. P1 Fonzie's on the line. Hey. Let's hear it. Make something up real quick. All right. Me and my husband, we went to Chili's and I had a hamburger and fries. Spot on. I used to get the lettuce wraps, but they don't make the lettuce wraps anymore, which is ridiculous. They get a new menu. So now I do the soup and salad. The imitation basically, what it is, is it includes a, you just have to include a chain restaurant that you really dig. And reference the husband. And reference the husband. And it's even made better if you reference happy hour. Yeah. Great deals. Appetite. They have the chips and queso. Oh, man, please. Basically, just talk like your grandmother. Whatever. So they're wondering at the LAPD, who let these pictures of Rihanna out? Who let the dogs out? No, anything. Something else. Very different. If you haven't seen these pictures of Rihanna allegedly beaten up by her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown. Allegedly? They're not sure? Well, until the court finds him guilty, he could sue me if I don't use the word allegedly. Yeah, but it's clearly by...
The photograph, he's... The court has not... It's clear by the photograph she got beaten up. But not by him. Right. We don't know. Allegedly. We don't know. Got it. Makes sense. So, anyway, so, you know, there's been pictures of Rihanna out there before, you know, with her face beaten up, but they turned out to all be photoshopped. Well, this one was released last night on, like, TMZ, Perez Hilton, these different websites, and this one is legit. This is a picture taken by the police of Rihanna after she got the beat down, and... The LAPD have now launched an internal investigation to find who leaked this picture. And when they find out, that person will be in big trouble and will obviously lose their job from the police department. I was going to talk about it earlier. We said, well, what do you think, money? They did it for a whole bunch of dope. She bet. Right? They would have to. That's why else would they put their job on the line, you know? That's pretty crazy. Let's see. That Octo Grandpa is going to be on Ofra next week. Really? Yeah. Just him? Yeah. It's weird. Well, I guess him and the octo-grandma, they're not really together. Oh, really? The stress of all of this, and all the previous grandkids have broken up the marriage. What? Oh, man. Yeah, so he's going to be on Oprah next week on the 24th, and Oprah asks if he believes his daughter is mentally stable, and he replies, well, that's a very good question.
Yeah, he goes on to say he's not a psychiatrist, but he does question her mental situation. Wow. And he does say that her getting pregnant and the doctor who got her pregnant are both absolutely irresponsible. And then this is also weird because we were reporting yesterday that she's going to eventually get evicted from her mother's home because her mother's home is going into foreclosure. Well, yesterday she made an appointment to tour a $1.2 million mansion that is on the market. So who knows if money's coming in from selling pictures of the babies. Like, I don't know. But the weird thing about this mansion is it's a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath. You have 14 children, and you're going to spend $1.2 million on a four-bedroom home. Maybe go to a less nice neighborhood and get an eight-bedroom home. That's a lot of bad decisions. Yeah. So just, you know, more details that come out about her. It's whack. There are parts of a historic San Diego jail that are going to be up for auction this weekend. Whoa. I don't know who would buy these things, but they're selling things like the bars.
The doors from the actual jail cell, the bars, the bunks, the sinks, like pretty much anything. Octomom could buy any of this. There you go. So I guess this was the official city jail in San Diego from 1930 to 1970. I'm so glad I wasn't alive then. Mike, they're selling the hook that the keys were on that the Brady Bunch had to use the belts to try and get off of. And then drag them over to release them. Pay whatever it takes. Whatever it takes. I'm glad I was not alive in the 1930s. I like it. I know it. So the auction will be held this weekend down at Seaport Village. There was no microwaves back then. That is true. There was no air conditioner. Forget it. Dude, no. There was no air conditioning back then. They had fans. Dude, get out of here with fans. They had windows. Come on. That's what I got. Dude, let me tell you something. I have a problem with heat. Oh, where's Sean? There's a great story we have. All growing up, no air conditioning, all growing up, and I just didn't like it. It was heat. You lived in cool areas like what, Yuma? Oh, Eddie.
Yeah, we lived in Yuma. It was 115 degrees. Who needs AC? Makes you stronger. You know what else they didn't have? No internet, no television in the 1930s. It seems very boring, you know? There's been other stuff, though. Okay, here was a good stuff about living then. Food tasted better. Chicken tasted like chicken. Yeah. What does it taste like now? It tastes like watered down chicken. It does because of all the antibiotics. All that stuff they stick in them. You don't believe me? Go get a chicken. See, I'm going to have some at my house. You're not allowed. I want to have some at the house. P1 Tyler. Yeah, I was actually calling for somewhat of a correction. I was watching Fox 11 News this morning and the Octomom. She said, well, actually, no, she didn't say it, but they were reporting that, you know, the $1.2 million mansion she toured or whatever. She was actually doing an interview with Dr. Phil. See, what I read yesterday was there was an interview scheduled to be held in that house, and they had to cancel the interview because she actually wanted to come tour it. But maybe, who knows? Who knows? Maybe one of our sources got their... Allegedly. It's all allegedly. All right. We'll take a look. What's Fox 11? Yeah.
Yeah, where is Fox 11? Mikey Show. That's a bigger question. That is a good question. 5701053. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. You can call right now about anything you want to. P1 Webby. Hey, Mikey. What's up? There's a movie that came out recently called Fanboys. It's out? Or is it coming out? I think it came out on the 6th. It did? Yeah, because when we were watching the trailer yesterday, it said out February 6th. Is that the Star Wars thing? Yeah. And so far, it's only been released in Orange County and so far up as L.A. And the more people that go see it, it will get released in more theaters. Hey, dude, I saw... And Eddie, we'll get your opinion on this because you're a big Star Wars fan. I thought it looked... I actually agree with you. Dude. And I was so excited about watching the trailer. A great concept. I think it's a hysterical concept. And they got like a bunch of stars from the Star Wars franchise. But I just thought that the jokes and everything about it was kind of lame. Well, here's the idea. The idea of the movie is that a bunch of young guys are going to break into Skywalker Ranch where they make all the Star Wars movies.
And that they're the ultimate fans and that they're going to all get together and they're going to go there and storm the place and get in there and... Do something. Yeah. Oh, I know what it is. They're going to view The Phantom Menace before it's released to theaters. And it sounds like a great concept. It's hysterical. Dude, the trailer looks brutal. Yeah, it was pretty bad. It looks really dumb, which is too bad. 570-1053. That's our phone number. Give us a call. P1 Kitty McMue is on the line. Yeah. Mikey, how you doing? Good, Kitty. Hey, listen, congratulations on your babies, man. Thank you, brother. That is amazing. That is so awesome. Hey, listen, if you want, I'll come help you build that chicken coop for free. Really? No. Do you have experience building chicken coops? Thank you, but no. I can build anything, sir. I've been doing it for 25 years. See, I need an experienced chicken coopist. No. Does that exist? Check the yellow pages. I'm certified. You can build a chicken coop. Are you a certified coopist? Of course. Yeah. I'm licensed by the state of the contractor. That's awesome. I'm sure we could swing it. Yeah. Don't encourage him. Let's do it. He cannot handle it. But thank you, sir. Do the coop. He's having twins. That's enough. I'll do the survey. He doesn't need chicken stew. That's right. P1 Chaos.
Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good, brother. Excellent show today. But I was just wondering if I could give a shout-out to my buddy's band. Sure. They're called Pulse Anatomy. They're going to be playing tonight at Dream Street in OB. Sweet. Come check them out. They're an excellent rock band. No problem, brother. Cool. Right on, man. Thanks a lot. Thanks. If you want to add them. Hey, Mikey. How's it going? Good. Hey, it's been a while. Can I hear Ashley's version of Sean TV? Oh, wow. That is quite a request. That is a strange guy. He likes it. Well, I mean, Sean TV, Sean's not even on the show anymore. I know, right? It's a little... Here, I love it. Ash, do you have it? Sure. All right, fine, we'll play it for you. Of course. Of course. Let's see. This is Ashley singing the theme song to a show that we played before a member of the show was fired. Oh, no. Too soon, too soon. Come on. Thank you. Well done. There it is. That guy really wanted to hear it. Okay, well. Yeah, he's got it on. There you go. You know what I mean? We can move on now. That's right. P1 Rude Dog has a UFC question. What's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Hey, Eddie, I wanted your thoughts on the fight tomorrow between Joe Stevenson and Diego Sanchez. Now, Rude Dog, is this question to make up for your guest of Whitney Houston, I Will Always Love You? He wanted to be anonymous. Thank you. Are you doing this to be manly? It's a great question.
I'm trying to make up for that. I understand. Our friend Diego Sanchez, his first fight at 155 tomorrow night. Is that up or down for him? Down. Yeah, he actually started in the UFC at 185, then has fought most of his career at 170, and now he's moving down to 155. What do you think, Eddie? To me, it was kind of an unnecessary move, but he'll be a giant guy for the 155-pound division. I think he's going to beat Joe Stevenson pretty handily. Joe is an interesting fighter, not very good standing up. He's got a great guillotine, but, you know, I mean, chances of him hitting that on Diego aren't very good. I think Diego wins in ground and pound, probably go the distance. Hey, Eddie. Yeah. Hey, what do you think about Josh Koscheck fighting Pialo Thiago and potentially derailing a shot at the bow? I'm sorry? What does that mean? He's fighting who? Thiago Alves? No, he's fighting Paolo Thiago. Who's that? I haven't heard of that. Well, exactly. And Josh Koscik's on track to get a shot at that belt. What's the belt? Belt. Oh. I thought he was saying belt, too. I know. Like, is that something? I think if Koscik, you know, if he's in the upper echelon of that division, he should be able to beat somebody I've never heard of. Yeah, exactly my point. Okay. I think you've got to do what you've got to do. You've got to keep fighting. Thanks, bro. Good luck, guys.
Appreciate it. Yeah, by the way, that UFC event tomorrow night is live free on Spike TV. Oh, really? For real? Yeah, from England. They're fighting it from England. That's a good TiVo. Check it out. It's a good digital video recorder. Get on that. End of the show on Friday, I give you my testimony. I tell you what my story is, and hopefully there are people that are listening that can relate to it. My story is that God used me and is continuing to use me. He took me because I have a sad sack story. I was a pretty big sad sack. A loser. Filthy. I was a loser. Treated people terribly. I talked to somebody yesterday I hadn't talked to in 10 years. And I took advantage of them 10 years ago. I asked if I could pray for him. I used to drink to the point where I would pass out. I would drink to the point where I couldn't remember anything. I'd drink to the point where I would get sick.
And then I would, I'd have to drink again right after I got sick. That is your sick person when you're to the point where you're doing that. That's a sick, sick guy. The past when I was a little kid was a lot of being hurt. I was hurt a lot, never felt safe. Sometimes people say, why do you think bad stuff like that, man? If there's a God, why does bad stuff like that happen? It'll only give you my perspective. And my perspective is, is that he used the situation with me. So I can tell you there was an answer in all of it. It didn't just happen for no reason. If he could take a guy that took advantage of someone 10 years ago, and then 10 years later, he puts us back in contact again so I can somehow help or pray for that person, there's some kind of beauty in that. If you've experienced or you're experiencing addiction, shame, nothing nobody understands,
Maybe you feel lost. You're going through some immense pain. You've gotten a divorce. You've broken up with somebody. You have an eating disorder. You're addicted to something. You feel like you're experiencing terrible economic times and it hurts really, really bad. The secret that nobody knows about that you are deeply, deeply ashamed of. You used to have an eating disorder, especially being a dude, man. You don't talk about that. Do talk about it so that you can maybe, maybe you go to my website. Mikeyshow.com. Up at the top of the page, there's a little section called keyword. And you click in that keyword, type the word help. It'll take you to resources. Sometimes when I'm saying this, I don't know how many times I have left to be able to say it. Who knows if the ratings go south and maybe get taken off the air. Maybe people don't like it and they protest and I get taken off the air. Maybe I get hit by a bus or maybe I die. And I think how many times do I have left? What if today was the last time?
What if today was the last time I got to say this stuff? What would I want you to know if it was the last time that Jesus Christ saved my life, that he changed it, that he took a low-down, worthless loser and turned him into somebody that can actually look in the mirror and actually like something about it? He took a filthy, low-down loser and turned him into somebody that can actually look in the mirror and like something about it. He wants to so bad. They were dragging me away from the microphone right now, and I could just say those few words right before they dragged me away from it. What would it be? Maybe that he wants it with you so bad. He wants it with you so bad. He wants it with you so bad. I'm screaming it from the rooftops. He wants it with you so bad. You, you, you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you. I swear it's true. MikeyShow.com, keyword, help. I play a song at the end of the show on Friday called Tunnel. It's by a band called Third Day. And the lyrics are so cool because, man, it's about hope. That is something that...
doesn't have a price. You can't put a price tag on it because it feels like so good. Hope. Listen to every lyric in this song. It's called Tunnel. Great weekend. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. We'll be back here on Monday morning at 5.30. Lovely and talented. Missy's coming up next and we'll see you again on Monday.
