Mikey described the joyful terror of chasing his son Jake, while Ashley explained how a birthday call finally exposed the Christmas grievance behind her sister's silence and Boston Rob confessed to running a red light while gawking at a wreck. When a cruise ship returned with more than 100 sick passengers, the crew and former cruise worker Joanna blamed easy transmission through crowded spaces and shared utensils; a later cell-phone locator discussion became an argument over safety, warrants, and government surveillance, with Mikey and Eddie favoring security and Sky demanding evidence. The show also dissected Valerie Bertinelli's Oprah interview about Eddie Van Halen and Steven Spielberg, mocked Gary Coleman's surprise appearance during a Today show reunion, and turned Matt Damon's Bourne casting into a repeated sound-drop gag. Mikey capped the odd personal stories with his childhood semitruck trip to see 9 to 5, and Sky's FHM/FHN typo became an Oscar-music roast after Heather Mills appeared at number 95.
What happened, in order
Daddy's Going to Get You
Mikey described chasing his toddler Jake through the house for delighted belly laughs while privately panicking that every step might end in a fall.
The Banana Exchange
Mikey and Sky compared their opposite tastes in banana ripeness and laughed that their email arranging a trade sounded like coded contraband talk.
Ashley's Birthday Truce
Ashley called her estranged younger sister on her birthday, confronted the unspoken Christmas grievance, and learned that she had hurt her sister without realizing it.
Rubbernecking Through Red
Boston Rob admitted that he stared so hard at a multi-car wreck that he stopped in an intersection and then drove through a red light in front of six police officers.
Cruise-Ship Outbreak
The crew debated why more than 100 cruise passengers became ill, and former cruise worker Joanna explained how shared forks, tongs, and other surfaces can rapidly spread a gastrointestinal virus.
Valerie on Oprah
The hosts unpacked Oprah Winfrey's pointed interview with Valerie Bertinelli about cheating on Eddie Van Halen, her rationalizations, and her earlier romance with Steven Spielberg.
The Locator Debate
A warning about cell-phone location settings grew into a long argument in which Mikey and Eddie prioritized tracking criminals and terrorists while callers and Sky pressed them on warrants, privacy, and proof.
Gary Coleman Crashes the Reunion
Mikey recounted Gary Coleman unexpectedly appearing behind a One Day at a Time reunion on the Today show, prompting the crew to imagine him secretly performing Amy Winehouse's Rehab.
Matt Damon Echo Chamber
News that Matt Damon had committed to a fourth Jason Bourne film dissolved into an extended chorus of repeated Matt Damon sound drops before the show moved to Madonna's jury duty.
The 9 to 5 Truck Ride
A Dolly Parton discussion led Mikey to reveal that his parents once sent him from Yuma to Gilroy with a truck-driver friend who took him to see 9 to 5.
FHM, Not FHN
Sky reported Heather Mills at number 95 on FHM's attractive-women list, then endured Oscar music and a studio pile-on after everyone discovered she had searched the mistaken address FHN.com.

A cruise ship returned to San Diego yesterday with more than 100 people sick with a gastrointestinal illness. Carl Edwards won the rain-delayed Auto Club 500 in Fontana yesterday. I bet he watched that on TV. Yeah, I know. People probably working and stuff. Well, let's get this show on the road, kids. 570-1053 is the number. And here's what you need to know if you're new. If you're new listening to the show. Seven people on the show. Me, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston, Rob, and Zeth. Seven people. That's crazy! We use every microphone. I mean, they put seven microphones on this mixing console, but they did it in the event that something extraordinary happened and there was going to be an awful lot of people, not just in this room.
But in the room across from me and the room next to that. And just in case we had a room somewhere out of this building that we needed to bring into this situation. And so that's what we essentially do. Seven people are able to be heard on the show. Albeit strangely because the microphones are 20 years old in some situations. True. We do. We're a startup, Mike. That's true. We're just a mom and pop. Just like a little hardware store, Clear Channel. Just trying to get by, you know? Just trying to get by with no advertising budget and all that. Just word of mouth. Well, we don't make any money yet. We're still, you know, functioning in the red. That's right. Well, you know what? Fingers crossed. Hopefully we'll get those record profits. That's right. That'd be cool. So, now that you know who the seven of us are, let's go around the room and check in and see what's happening. Check in. Let's say, what's happening in your life? Nothing really going on with me.
My wife makes the best cupcakes. I wish that she would make them all the time. Then again, I don't. What else can I tell you? Oh, here's something I could tell you. My kid, he runs. He loves to run. And I love to chase him. And we do this thing, Daddy's going to get you, right? So Daddy's going to get you. Daddy's going to get you. And he runs. And I chase him. And I am so terrified while he's running. Like I can't calm down. I cannot calm down because I'm thinking any second he's going to fall. I can't calm down like my wife can. And he is he's got this laughter when I'm doing that, when I'm chasing him. He has this laughter that I got. I'm not kidding you. I have to tape it so you guys can hear it. It's the cutest thing ever. It's so cute when he's laughing. And it's not just laughter.
it's like belly laughter, like howling laughter. Well, there's nothing funner. Oh, dude. He really gets it. That's like the greatest time. Yeah, he really gets it. But what we do is we have this routine. I chase him into the kitchen, and then he immediately turns around to run back into the front room, right? And the routine is that right before he gets to the carpet of the front room, I pick him up, I swoop him up, and he kind of anticipates it, so he slows down a little bit, like dad's going to get me. and I pick him up, and I hoist him up in the air, and I'm kind of tossing him as we're running, and then I kind of toss him onto the couch. And he loves it. Oh, my goodness, he loves it. But I'm telling you, as he's running either from the front room and into the kitchen on the tile or from the tile into the front room, I'm like, in my mind, it's like, oh, this is the step, right? And it doesn't happen. I'm telling you. And then sometimes when I pick him up and I throw him,
And then I put him on the couch. He's a little dizzy from all the up and down stuff. So when he's running, you could tell he's a little off kilter. Like beer up on a Saturday night. Yes. And my wife, Rebecca loves it, but it makes me so. And she says, she goes, Jake, you're going to give your dad a heart attack. That's the truth. Eddie's our producer. Our sports guy is 34 years old. Anything going on? Uh, Had a pretty cool dinner last night. Where'd you eat? It was a Chargers broadcast thank you dinner, which was pretty cool. Good to see all those guys. I don't get to see them usually in the off-season, so it was pretty cool hanging out with everybody. Eddie's on the pregame, for those of you that don't know. Eddie does a pregame for the Chargers. And we ate at a place we used to go to all the time called Epizodi in Del Mar. I love Epizodi. It's not Epizodi anymore. What? The name's Epizodi, but it's now Epizodi. The steakhouse. Get out of here. It is a trip, dude. It's a steakhouse? Yeah. My sister worked there for like five years. We would go there all the time and have a real nice time. And it used to be like this weird Mexican fusion seafood place. It was really good. But now it's a straight steakhouse. Do they do anything off the old menu? I don't know.
We had a fixed menu. Yeah. So I didn't actually get to look at the old menu, but I don't think so. I don't think so at all. Because we used to love the calamari. Yeah. It's like the greatest calamari we've ever had. Yeah. So I don't know. But the food was great. It was shockingly great. Steaks are good. Really? Yeah. Steaks were excellent. I got the old surf and turf. Oh, nice. One of the best lobsters I've ever had. Wow. Delicious. Flavor-wise, unbelievable. That's cool. Yeah, it was really cool. I can't believe it. Did they change furniture, that kind of stuff? A little bit. Does it look different in there? The layout's kind of the same, but the furniture's a little different. It's definitely weird. It's a great place. Yeah, really cool. The view's still there, and that's all that really matters. It's beautiful, man. You can see the ocean of Del Mar right there. It's nice. Sky is our news girl. Good hair day. Thank you. What's going on with the good hair? Not just lots of product. Last night got a little too much extra mousse when I was doing my hair and it makes it look nice. Should we talk about our email exchange? Uh-oh. Uh-oh. It didn't dawn on me until you wrote me back and I was howling laughing when you said what you said because I go, oh, that's so true. I wrote Sky last night and the subject of the email was Nanners and I said in my email to her, yo, ski.
Do you have a ripe banana? Ours are real green. And I want one. And if you have one to trade, I want to trade. Okay. Because Skye and I will occasionally trade bananas because she hates ripe bananas. And I hate green bananas. She can eat them like right off the tree, man. They can look like Kermit the Frog. I like them a little crisp. Oh. Like a little crunch to it? Yeah. I like it. It sounds gross. And my favorite type of banana is a bright yellow banana with no trace of green and the hint of brown. Yeah, I got some brown for you today. Nice. You like the mush. Yeah, let me make sure that we got the goods for you, Scott. That our trade is acceptable. Yeah, let's see if you're okay with this napkin. This is pretty brown. I didn't realize it was this brown last night. Hopefully you're okay with it. That's probably perfect. That's probably, oh yeah. Now what about that? Oh, that's good. Okay. Oh, it's a perfect trade. We got a lot of green around the top. That's not right. It's good. Perfect. Well, it was like, it looks like it just came off the banana boat. Yeah, it does. Good. She likes that. So anyway, Sky writes me back.
And she said, you realize that if Big Brother is reading this email, they're going to find it very hard to believe that we're talking about bananas. Hey, are the bananas ripe? Yeah, you want to trade bananas? Yeah, I just got a big shipment of bananas last night. What's new with you, Skye? Nothing. I was like tripping out yesterday. I thought I smelled like Ashley all day because yesterday morning she came in and gave me this like really big hug and then like all day because I don't really wear perfumes or anything. And so all day I was like, wow, you know, Ashley must have been wearing some strong perfume because I like smell. And I realized this morning it's my new deodorant and it's actually me that smells like perfume. Oh my God. I've done that. Because I got dressed this morning and I'm like. I'm still smelling Ashley like everywhere. And then I finally just realized about a half hour ago that it's me in my new deodorant. I actually was hanging out with some friends, thought to myself, man, one of my friends smells like strong. They are wearing like a obnoxious cologne. And I realized that it was my new deodorant. Wow. It was my new deodorant. And I was like,
Oh, I am obnoxious, man. You know, it didn't stink, but it was strong. You know, it was just a strong... Well, because it's right there under your face. And because it's different, you're like, man, dude, calm your cologne down. And you realize it's you. Sean is our sound effects man. And he has very short hair. And that's right. He's wearing a white t-shirt as he does every day. It's an undershirt. Excuse me. He wears an undershirt. And he wants to be very clear that it's not a t-shirt. It's an undershirt. Well, there's a difference. There is. Clearly. We're sorry. No. Eddie and Sky and I, we are the three people that have Sean on our computer screens and can see him. What I would give. Boston Rock. It should be easy. What I would give. It should be easy. All you got to do is put the...
download the software he won't be able to see you unless you have a camera but it should be easy to see him but anyway I want to ask Eddie and Skye because they see him every day and I guess I just didn't notice but are you guys telling me That Sean has always sat backwards on his chair because it seems like a new thing to me. It is absolutely a new thing. He's doing it again. It's only for the past couple days that he's decided to. I've always done that. He claims. He's lying. That he's done this. He doesn't do that. He doesn't do this. Ashley's coming to look. Ashley, tell me you've seen that. It's ridiculous. Hey, give me a break, right? He has not done that. He's the Fonz suddenly. Yeah, you're trying to be too cool for the school. Whatever. You're throwing the host off. Arthur Fonzarelli. That's not right. That's right. Ashley, sit in that chair. Let's talk to Ash. Sit in that chair. In the studio. Ashley's in our studio now. She came in from hers. Man, your hair is different today. I like it. Right into the mic. Yeah, your hair is real different today.
than it was yesterday. Yesterday when you left the office to go to the restroom, I go, what's up with her curly hair? And Rob goes, I have no idea. I go, what's up with the curly hair? And you go, you said something so sarcastic. It was like, rude. What am I, the keeper of her hair? But today it's very different than it was. Yesterday it was curly. Wavy, yeah. And today it's straight and like parted to the side. Really different today, Ash. Yeah, it's like the front like bang swoop. Anything new with you? Me? Yeah. I talked to my sister last night. Oh, you guys had not talked forever. I blogged all about it. You did? Yeah. I really like the blogging because it's like very therapeutic for me when this stuff happens. You can read all of our blogs at MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Every day we put up a new blog.
And if you go to the keyword section, right there on the front page, you'll see keywords. Just type in blogs, hit enter, and there you go. It's right there. So what facility, did you call her? Yeah, well, it was her birthday yesterday. Oh. Like, what am I going to do? Like, I have to call her. Sure. You hadn't talked since Christmas, right? Yeah. Here we are, the end of February. They hadn't talked since Christmas. Not one word. Ashley had gone back to Northern California, where she grew up. And she visited with her sister who's younger than her. How old's your sister? She's 20 months younger. She just turned yesterday 23. Okay. And wait a minute. You're 24. Mm-hmm. And she's 20 months younger than you? Yes. But I'll see we'll be 25 in a couple months. Okay. And so you hadn't talked since Christmas. You guys were, something had happened. I didn't, yeah, right. Something had happened. This is the craziest part. Like, I didn't even know she was mad at me. You know what I mean? Like, I had no idea. Well, you knew because you've been telling us that she was mad at you. Right, because when my dad came to visit me like a month ago, he let me know. That she's upset. I'm like, that's why we haven't called. Well, because that whole American Idol thing happened, and she's the only family member I didn't hear from. So I was like, that's kind of weird. It's a little strange. Hello, I was on American Idol. That's right. Hello. She didn't even call to say hello. You were on American Idol.
So, I mean, that was kind of like red flag number one. And then my dad came into town. He was like, your sister's really mad at you. You know, you hurt her feelings over Christmas. I had no idea. And then last night when I was talking to her, like, she still wouldn't bring it up. And I'm like, oh, happy birthday. How was your day? And she's like, oh, good. How's your dog? How's your dog? About the dogs. And I'm like, what are you going to bring up that you hate me right now? And she didn't. So, of course, you know me. I'm like, I bring it up. Like, I have no problem confronting. And so then we talked about it. And evidently, I really hurt her feelings. Is she still getting married? Well, they put it on hold. It was like, now it's a promise ring. And they're going to get married, but not for like four years, she says. Right? She's like, three or four years, we're going to wait. I see. But they're together. Yeah, oh yeah, they live together and all that stuff. There you go. Good luck with that. Thanks. Boston Rob. Yo. He is our phone screener. He's a singer-songwriter. He writes parody songs. And he's a good kid. What's new with you? Nothing really new, but yesterday I blew through a red light with like six cops standing right there. Really? What?
Wasn't even paying attention because I was on my way to boxing. Mm-hmm. And there was a huge accident. Like, there was a truck tipped over. Two other cars were involved. And then there was, like, six cars parked along the street. Mm-hmm. That were all brushed up. You know, you could see the damage going down each one. Mm-hmm. So, I mean, of course I'm going to stare. Everyone does. I'm practically hanging out my window. Mm-hmm. watching this thing. They had flares. They had shut one side of the road down. There's eight cruises there. There's a bunch of cops standing in the street trying to figure out what had happened. There's a bunch of people that gathered. I wasn't even paying attention to traffic lights. Nothing like that. Ended up stopping my car right next to the accident. Didn't realize I was in the middle of the intersection. The light was red. Cars started going. I just... blew through it with like six cops in a huddle just staring at me. And nobody went and got you? What are they going to do? They were busy. It's the same concept as like when you see people on the freeway pulled over and people slow down. What's the point? The guy's not going to get in. He's not going to get in his car and go get you. What if he sees them speeding? If he does, what's he going to do? Leave the guy that he's sitting there giving a ticket to? Write your license plate down and come visit you at home? Exactly.
Seth is the seventh member of the Mikey show. He's just a young man. He was wearing his Charlie Brown t-shirt yesterday. He needs to wear that every day. It's a yellow shirt. It's the exact same shirt that Charlie Brown wears. Yellow shirt with the brown stripes. It was great. How you doing, Seth? I'm good. You alright? Yeah. My hair's kind of starting to irritate me, though. Why? Like, I normally have it shorter. Yeah, you're going to grow that out? Yeah, I'm trying to, but it's like in a really... Nasty stage. Yeah, get past that. I want to see what's going on there. Yeah. Because he's always had this skinhead type cut. Yeah. And I want to see what's going on. Afro. That's right. Nice. 5701053 is our phone number beginning and end of every show. You guys know the routine. You can call us about anything. So call in and let's talk. What's going on? Here it is Tuesday. We need to take a vacation in the month of March.
And I figured, that's what listeners know. Where are we going? I don't know, but we need to take one because we get a certain amount of vacation and we can't take it after April 3rd. Oh, really? Yeah, and I was talking to the show about it and we don't know when. You guys got any ideas? I'm not going anywhere. I'm just reading the whole week, man. Seriously, all I'm going to do is read. I got some thoughts. Yeah, me too. I'm kind of leaning towards the end of the month, but we'll chat. End of March? Yeah, me too. We'll chat. Whatever you guys want because I don't have a plan. I'm not going anywhere. Maybe we'll all go camping together. Or not. Or not. No, Skye, you got to go. Or yippee. You're the campground leader. Or let's do it. You're the campground leader. Camp director. Do I get a whistle? Well, if I get a whistle, then I'm there. Yeah, we'll give you a whistle. Do you really need a whistle? I heard that wrong. No, you didn't. I did, with my ears. I heard it. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, I was wondering for the thing, you know, the P1 trivia, people could come hang out and fight. I was wondering if you could be like a certain age for that. Yeah, are you driving, though? No. You're not driving. No. What's going on? I was just wondering.
Okay, now wait a minute. Now, before I make any judgment call here, we had a listener who sounded drunk, but she wasn't drunk. It turned out that she had something going on, health-wise. It's a speech impediment I have. It's a speech impediment. Yeah. Have you had anything to drink? No. Well, in terms of coming in here on Friday, I don't know. I think it's safe to say you should be at least, you know, legal adult age of 18. How old are you? About 14. He's been drinking. I'm lying. You're lying. You've been drinking, sir. I don't drink. I hope you're not driving right now. I don't drink and I don't drive. I wish we had a tracking device on his car right now. No kidding. So we could figure out where that guy is.
Okay, so all kinds of stuff going on. One of them is this big cruise, this passenger cruise thing. And it came back to San Diego with 100 people sick on it. Oh, no, not again. Not again. I was flipping out over this when we did our cruise, man. When we went down to Mexico, I was thinking to myself, is this going to be one of those deals? Why do they keep getting sick on cruise ships? Seriously. Why do they clean up? How many times? Wear gloves. So gross. Dude, that's what happened when we went on our honeymoon. You guys went to Alaska, right? Yeah. And something was up on the... He got Ebola. No, nobody got Ebola. Yes, he did. No. A lot of people did get the Norwalk virus, though. The Norwalk? That's what... Yeah, that's what it's called. This is what this is? Yeah, well... Yeah. Yeah, the Noro virus. I think I had a name. Yeah, it's a different gastrointestinal. Norwalk? Junk. Norwalk? Is that what they call it? Yeah. Now, they know what it is. I've never heard of that, but I've got to guess another name for it would be the cruise ship virus because if Sean's talking about that's what they had on his cruise ship and that's what they had on this cruise ship, what's the deal, man? How come they can't figure it out? Purell. Yeah. 409. Well, it's funny because that's actually what they did. Every time you went into where you would eat, you'd have to put...
Purell, like all over your hands, like up to your elbow before you can even go in. Oh, I want them to figure out this. That makes me really hungry. Well, it comes down to, you know, people not being clean. Oh, you think? Well, wait a minute, though. It's more. It's more than just people not being clean because people aren't clean all over the place. But this is a cruise ship thing, so... Well, no, they say that this is any place where, you know, lots of people are, like, nursing homes, daycare centers. We just don't hear about it? This is the same thing, that, like, when someone gets the stomach virus and it gets spread around the daycare center and all the kids got the number twos, you know. But we've been hearing about this cruise ship thing for a long time. And my question is, I think because all the people are isolated, they can't get off. So with the daycare center, you stay home sick. But, you know, with the cruise ship, you have a whole ship coming up to port and 100 people at one time have it because they're all trapped. How come that doesn't happen on small resorts? Small resorts? Yeah. Like what I'm saying is, is that nobody's going like, hey, maybe there's a thing that's going on in the cruise ship that we need to like address. No.
It's bioterrorism, Mike. Maybe that's it. I think if they could have figured it out by now, they probably would have. I don't think that, you know, any of these cruise lines want this to happen. They'd probably take as many precautions as they can. So it's just people that have it and they're getting on there. Yeah. It doesn't surprise me when we were on that cruise, watching the 80 people that were in the jacuzzi together, watching, you know, people spilling out of that. tiny pool and then go into the buffet area and put their hands on everything. And that doesn't surprise me. Total community bowls and silverware. It's disgusting. Cut 31. Nobody was speaking and telling us what was happening. People were being isolated. They kept minimizing the numbers saying that all people are getting better, getting better, getting better. But it was exactly the opposite. Each day the sick count would go up. That's what bothered us, that we weren't kept in the loop. It was an intestinal flu. I was quarantined for two days, and they took very good care of me. Okay, so it's starting to make sense in my head. Somebody gets on there, and they have just a normal. See, I'll tell you what was confusing me is that I seemed to think that it was this one particular virus. And it's like if somebody gets on with the flu, it spreads through the ship.
And it can spread through the ship very easily. Or if somebody has something else like Grody like that, it can spread through the ship real easily. And so I get it now. I get it. That means they can't do anything about it. If somebody gets on the ship with a flu or something, forget it. You can't do anything about it. Cut 32. It's a little higher than normal. You know, we... The average is, you know, you have a few cases here and there, but it's a little higher than normal and something that we have to report to the Center for Disease Control. So we work with them on a regular basis. Gross. It really is, right? P1 Sicilian, you there? Yeah, I'm there. What's up? Nothing. Don't eat the frozen ice cream. You know the complimentary ice cream? Because they don't get in the frozen yogurt because they don't clean that out. And that's where everybody's getting sick. No, I have a feeling that they would... If you know that...
I have a feeling they know that. Well, and you would think just the temperature alone of something that's freezing would... Just a thought. It's like saying... Stay away from the hot soup. Stay away from the inside of the microwave. Yeah, don't go in the oven. They don't clean that out because a few of us ate ice cream and a few of us didn't and the ones that ate ice cream were sick. Here, let me tell you. Well, hang on. Let me explain, bro. Let me explain. It could be that somebody was sick, right? And they touch that handle that you pull the ice cream thing. Right. And then somebody else pulled the handle and wiped their nose or their eyes. But it doesn't mean something's wrong with the ice cream. But thank you. I appreciate the call. I understand where he was getting that. It's like Magnum P.I. That's right. P1 Jeremiah. Hey, guys. How's it going? Good, man. Hey, I just wanted to call and let you know I completely agree with you with what you're saying about Jake, man. My son, his name is Noah, and he's about 19 months old. And we do the same game, but I've almost went to the store and bought knee pads and elbow pads for him because I didn't play. And I'm like, oh, my gosh, this is a step. He's going to fall. I know it. Dude, for real. Like, I want to put padding everywhere, you know, just so that he does. Because I'm telling you, when he does the cry, and you know this, when your kid cries,
Your kid's got two cries. He's got the whiny, I like am hungry or something, you know, that cry. Yeah. But then he's got like the, I just got hurt cry. Yes. And the two of them are very different and you want to avoid that one at any cost. Oh, yeah. That is totally for sure. There you go. One of the most amazing things in the world just to hear that laugh because you know it's honest and true. Oh, yeah. That laugh is, you know, if you could bottle it. You know, I'd get it like that deodorants guy has and be like, is that Ashley or is that me? He's got a good giggle, too. You see what I'm saying? He does. He's got a giggle on him. He does. P1 Perello. Hey, Mikey, how you doing? Good, bro. I just got back and quit. I just wanted to tell you guys, you guys, you rock. It's awesome being back, listening to your show every morning. That's cool, man. Awesome! Now, how long are you going to be back for? I'm back for good now. I'm trying to go up to Camp Pendleton to work at the training squadron up there. I'm a helicopter mechanic. Very cool. Very cool. Two of my boys, Corporal Zuniga and Lance Corporal Mays that I'm working with right now. I want to give a shout out to them and my boys overseas. What's up? There you go, dude. All right. Thanks, Mike. You rock on. Thank you, man. We have a representative from the cruise lines. Oh, really? Nice. So let's do this. Wow.
We're going to take a quick time out. When we come back, we'll talk to her. This is what we got on the show today. We're going to do a little Wuss Rock jukebox. Oh, my favorite. With the fellas. I saw Dr. Phil out in the lobby right now cleaning out our soft ice cream machine. Oh, good. Finally. I'm glad he's doing that. So we'll talk to him probably a little bit later on. I had a really interesting topic that I want you guys to think about as you're driving to work right now. Bring up the topic of, if you could bring back any celebrity from the dead, who would it be? No worries out of East County. The westbound needs clear all the way to Mission Valley. The 94 King Freeway, good to go in the downtown. And you've got both the 5 and the 5 northbound. Kind of getting slow here on both these freeways as you come up to that southway freeway up through National City. The 805 and then a brief glitch here coming up the hill out of Mission Valley. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, it's Mikey for AMCO. I'm the type of person that likes to know exactly what I'm going to get before I get into it. That's why I always, whenever I'm doing any kind of endorsement, I always check them out before I pass it on to you, the P1s. I'm telling you, you can trust Amco. When you go into Amco, they will diagnose an engine light problem. Before you ever have to pay for it, it's free for them to diagnose it. They're not going to fix anything that isn't broken. And don't forget the fact that Amco does transmissions, brakes, oil changes. Now, you may be saying to yourself, why Amco? Why would I go to Amco and not take it to the dealership? Well, first of all, the experience. The experience in the database. They hook up with all these other Amcos with guys that know exactly what problems are going on. And when they experience something that they don't know about, which isn't often, they can go on there and figure it out. Amco is the only place you want to go. It's Amco. Double A. Beep, beep. M-C-O.
Ashley, your one-point question is... What is the most northwestern state? I don't know. Salad. Whatever. Okay. Salad? Fine. Eisenhower. What? I don't know. Tattoos. Yes. I don't... Pork rinds. What? I don't know. Charlotte, North Carolina. What? I don't know. The Eiffel Tower. Whatever. I'm wrong. What is the most northwestern state... Sandwiches, Jimmy. The Mikey Show continues. Yeah, it's the Mikey Show. Welcome back. Welcome back. It is 640. Charlie Sheen is upset with Ryan Seacrest for producing a reality show with Sheen's ex-wife and kids. Congress may recommend criminal action against Roger Clemens. We're going to be doing a live broadcast day after tomorrow. Love to see you come out there. We're going to be in Carlsbad day after tomorrow on Thursday out at K1 Speed.
And this is in Carlsbad. So those of you that live in North County and you want to come by and watch us do the show, you can do it the whole time. And Eddie and Rob are going to compete against each other racing those little cars. And at some point, I want to get out there too. It looks like fun. I can't believe I've never been there because I love that kind of stuff. I love driving. And I love driving fast, even though I never do. And this will be a great opportunity. to be able to do it and have a controlled environment to do it. So I told you when we went to break, we had somebody that actually works for cruise companies. This is P1 Joanna. Are you there, Joanna? Hey, how's it going? Good. So you work for a cruise line. I did. And so you know about people getting sick, right? Oh, yeah. I worked up in Alaska for the last three years. And it's just a joke. Like you would hear, because my job was the land portion part of it. So we would come and we'd pick up people off the cruise ship and take them on a tour. Right. So we would hear about it before, like, uh-oh, Norwalk outbreak. And so we'd get our sanitizer out, spray down the bus. They're like, oh, great, this is going to be a long week. And, you know, it makes sense because people are using tongs, spoons, stuff like that that's been touched by other people. Yeah, absolutely.
It's like, you know, what do you and think about this, too. If they have a big basket and the basket has a bunch of forks in it. Right. What will inevitably happen is someone will reach into those forks and they'll grab one, decide they don't want that one and put it back. Grab another one, pick it up and decide they don't want that one and put it back and then pick one up that they want. Now that person, that person had the flu. So now somebody comes along and they pick that same fork up that the person with the flu put back. Take it to their table. They eat a little something, something. And then they rub their eyes or rub their nose. Now it's a seven day long cruise, right? So now about three days later, they're symptomatic. And so they go to the fork thing. I'm starting to feel sick. I know. It's so gross. Oh, no. But what are you going to do? I mean, there's nothing that the cruise line can say all they want. Please wash your hands. But what they can't say is, please don't get a fork. Yeah, right? And they can't say, pick a fork. Only one fork. Don't put it. I mean, too much control that would have to go on. So anyway, Joanna, thanks for the call.
Yeah, no problem. So yesterday, Valerie Bertinelli, ex-wife of Eddie Van Halen, was on Oprah Winfrey. Oh, no. Yeah, I watched it. You did? I watched part of it. You did? Yeah. You look great. She does, man. I gotta admit, do you think she's had plastic surgery? Well, I assume that maybe she got some type of constructive surgery to fix maybe like the saggy skin, because she lost a lot of weight. But she looks, her face is... So youthful and beautiful, you know? And she's got, Valerie Bertinelli, I think she's, I don't know, probably late 80s, early 90s, something like that. Something like that good. To look that good. Cut six. But he didn't want to sleep with you. I know. This is what's shocking. Yes, I was shocked by that. He didn't want, you know, you would think rocker. People are throwing their panties at them all day long. I know. That that would be the first thing he wanted. No, separate rooms. He said, there's your room. This is my room. That's my room? Yeah. And you're a rock star? Yeah. Don't you do this all the time? No, he really, and he wanted to talk to my dad first. Shocking, isn't it? I know, he was the good one and I was the bad one. Yeah, that was kind of a theme in this interview yesterday.
that he was the good one and she was the bad one. Cut 11. Look, I wasn't an angel either. I mean, I... You cheated, too. I cheated, too. Right. And he claims to this day that I cheated first, but I don't know. So, I guess we'll have... I don't know about the timing. Well, the way you wrote it, you cheated first. I did? Yeah. She didn't answer her the whole... Yeah, you cheated first. Unless I misread something. Maybe you read it right. Where did you go? To Canada? Japan. Japan. Yes, and I was... I infatuated with the drummer of this band that was friends of my brother. You were 25. I was 25. 25. Yeah. And I, you know, only five years into our marriage or four years into our marriage. And we had grown that far apart. I just wanted somebody to touch me and love me. And I wasn't getting it at home. Now, that's not an excuse. Then what I should have done is dealt with the problems in our marriage, separated. And then if I want to go do something, I can. But I just, it was a big, huge wrong choice. And there's a lot of guilt.
What's that? Well, so much so that you forgot by the time you got on Oprah's couch. Yeah. That was pretty interesting, though. So she's calling her on everything, Ash? She's like, that's not what the book says. I wouldn't say that she was calling her. I was saying that Oprah was just being mean to her, like I felt throughout the whole entire show. Wow. I don't think that was mean to point out that's not what I read in the book. You didn't say that in the book. Hey, listen, she says, well, Eddie says that I cheated first, but that's not the way I remember it. I think it's fair for Oprah to go, hey, I just read it. You said you cheated first. I agree. I think it's just the tone. She had a tone with Valerie, I felt, the whole show. It was really... Oprah. Well, yesterday... I thought you loved Oprah. I'm so out on Oprah. You know what happened? I have a theory about Ashley and Oprah. Ashley was totally in love with Oprah. And then she met a new girlfriend named Ellen. And she totally dumped Oprah for Ellen. Or Oprah got too, like, rich for her britches and decided to, you know, think that she's holier than thou. I mean, it's ridiculous. So you're out. Oh, my God, I'm out. How conceited she is. I'm telling you guys, if you're listening right now, this girl used to be into her. So it is a big out to be out on Oprah. Oh, yeah.
Valerie Bertinelli writes in her book that she had an affair with Steven Spielberg. That's crazy. Cut nine. How did you end up dating Steven Spielberg? This is before Eddie, though. He's a handsome young man, wasn't he? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I went up to read for Raiders of the Lost Ark, which I was so wrong for, way too young for. But you kind of knew that on the way up there. Well, after, I was like, oh, wait a minute. I'm not right for this part. I wonder if. And the next day, I got a call and some flowers. From Steven. Yeah. He asked me out. We went out a few times and did more. No, really, this is what's interesting. How come she don't remember what she put in the book? That's odd. That's weird. I thought it was so strange when Oprah goes, well, you said this. And she's like, I did. OK, well, yeah, she didn't write it. Maybe she just kind of like dictated her life story to someone and they wrote it. So the actual wording of everything she's not familiar with, she probably should have read it. That's very true. That's very true. Now, there's now let me see what you guys think about this theory, too. What about the theory of.
she's kind of ashamed or embarrassed of some of the stuff. And like she got into this zone when she was writing it where she was really telling the truth. And now she's like reverting back to what she's always done, which is say, yeah, well, he said, she's probably said that thing about Eddie for years. Yeah. He says that I cheated first, but I don't know. Like, you know, to a certain degree, you kind of try to block stuff out or whatever. Totally. I don't know. Could be. Unpause. No, really, this is what's interesting. You go from he invited you, he sent you the flowers, it's really a lovely time, and then the next thing I know is, yeah, and he invited you to the Oscars, and you say, well, he should have since I was sleeping with him. And then I go, where did that happen? In the 70s, you know? Everybody slept with Steven Spielberg in the late 70s. I thought, Oprah, you did too, right? Right. This is why she split with Steven Spielberg. Cut ten. So you're sleeping together. Hold on a second. I'm sure he'd admit to it, too. You would? Well, he has to now. It's all right here. Okay.
Okay, so this is a funny part. You were sleeping together, and you were cooking in his home in Coldwater Canyon. Mm-hmm. He had a beautiful home. Yes, of course. Of course. He's doing Spielberg. Yeah, Spielberg. Okay, so in your cooking, I love this moment where you're cooking. I'm making pasta, and I got the butter up, and I'm starting to chop the garlic. And he said, oh, no, no, no, no, no garlic. I'm like, are you kidding me? No garlic? And I didn't say it out loud, but I'm thinking I cannot be with a guy who's not getting a garlic. So that was the end of Steven and I. What a trippy story, man. What a trippy story. Weird. That is weird. I wonder if that's really how it went down. I'm sure not. Yeah, man. Like, I want to, well, you know, like, now a dude's going to be inundated with, so what's up with this Bertinelli stuff, man? Is it true? Like, that's all he's going to get. So, you think his story will be different or the same? I think it will be different. You do? I think it will have a different take on the whole thing. We have more of that, so we'll save some of that. We'll do a little bit more of it.

Tennessee is the new number one team in college basketball for the first time in their school's history. Vote for your favorite video at... Go to MikeyShow.com. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, what happened? Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Something just... I saw something shiny. They're playing the video of Barack Obama wearing the, like, the turban and the, you know... Robe. The robe and all that stuff. Well, that's not what caught my attention, actually, because I'd seen the... Picture. Maybe it's just my, I'm seeing something that I don't think, that isn't really there. Is that a tattoo on his left arm? No, I think it's like a shadow. Kind of by his elbow. Yeah, yeah. No? That looks like Super Mario in that outfit, though. He does. He looks just like Super Mario. What? The red and the white, man. Yeah. Anyway, there's this big, you know, there's a big thing with Barack Obama this morning because he was wearing like some sort of a, what is it, Sky?
Well, it was during a 2006 trip he took to Kenya, and they describe it as traditional local garb. You know what they wear in the area, but it does feature a turban and a robe. Huh. So what does that mean? He's a terrorist? Yeah, exactly. Because of all the emails and jokes about him being a terrorist. And then they're saying that there's been reports that it's actually the Clinton campaign who dug up this photo and released it to the press. I heard it a little different yesterday. I heard that his father was a practicing Muslim. And that while he was growing up, he may have been Muslim himself. But what does that have to do with this photo? That that was traditional Muslim attire. No, this is from 2006. You're talking about when he was a little boy. That picture? Yeah, that says from a 2006 trip to Kenya is what I have here. Dude, I'm telling you. I was watching CNN yesterday and it was all over the place. Yeah. I mean, what I'm saying is the information. Yeah. Well, that happens when any story is new. They just want to get it on the air sometimes.
But the Obama campaign says that this is the most shameful, offensive, fear-mongering we've seen from either party in this election. Wow. Well, Hillary's desperate now. She's got to do something. She's got to do something. This is very personal for me. We know. But to make him out to be a terrorist? Yeah, a little extreme. A little much. I mean, to Photoshop that. belt of dynamite around him, I thought was a little extreme. You know what I mean? It's easy. It's easy. That's what I heard. You just used Photoshop and it's real easy. It's easy. It's easy. We know, Hillary. Well, you did it. It's easy. We know it was easy. That's terrible. We got it, lady. Eddie, who should play Barack Obama if there was ever a movie about him? Will Smith. Cut to. So they make a movie about your life. Yeah. Who should play you? Well, um... Will Smith and I have talked about this. Because he has the ears, he might have an inside track on the role. You know, he's better looking than me, but we both have those. And to play Michelle? No, but he's that beautiful. She'd have to play her son. You are good. You are really good. That's why we've been married for 14 years. There you go. Smart answer. Oh, he gets it. Yeah, I was reading an interview with him. I don't know if it was in People or Entertainment Weekly, and they were asking him something about...
Like a pet peeve about his wife or something. And he was like, oh, I've been married long enough to tell you that my wife, there's nothing wrong with her. She's perfect. She's perfect. Yeah, he gets it. Did you read that thing in that interview about him and the Nicorette? Yeah. He's using the Nicorette to try to knock the cigarettes. Wow. But he says he only smokes like four a week or something. Yeah. That's what he says. 5701053, we're looking for guys that want to play Wuss Rock jukebox. The idea of Wuss Rock Jukebox is that you're a guy, you call in, you know these Wuss Rock songs like I Can't Fight This Feeling by REO Speedwagon. Oh, gorgeous. It's a good one. Yeah, it's really beautiful. You have to be able to sing to guys when you call in. Well, now, what do you mean by that, Rob? Well, I mean, you just can't be scared to whatever your voice may sound like, belt it out on the air. Yeah, yeah. Because I get some guys that call in. Yeah, yeah. that think they're going to say something. Oh, no. You're going to sing. Yeah. You're going to sing. This is about singing. What we're going to do is we're going to play a clip from a song. This is a singing competition. Please, people. Mike, you should really give an example of what that should be. I can do that. Mike, do it. It's a good idea. You've been wrong before. You get it? So good. That was beautiful.
Just be really gay like that. We don't even know if you were right. Now, here's the deal. Let's see if I was right. I was right. Oh, you nailed it. You nailed it. There you go. Thank you. Very good. You win a prize. I am effeminate. So here's what you do. Call us right now, guys, if you want to sing. Now, you've got to be able to sing. When we stop the clip, you take over singing. Now, we only have two rules. There's only two rules in Wuss Rock Jukebox. What are they? Number one, do not say, I couldn't hear anything. I couldn't hear anything. Because you can definitely hear it. And then the only other rule is, is that if you don't know the lyrics, make something up. Will you please just make something? Be creative. Yeah, because you'll win as long as you make something up creative. The only way you can lose is to not do anything.
Or to say you can't hear or whatever. It's hard to lose. You've got to be a complete loser to lose. It's so easy to win. You have to have very little to win. Eddie, what's the prize today? We got those American Gangster DVDs. Oh, wow. Well, that just sounds great. Real good. Now, P1 Sanjaya is going to be first up here today. That's not fair. Good morning, Sanjaya. He's the best. Good morning, Sanjaya. Are professional artists allowed to compete? I don't know. That's a good question, Sky. Sanjaya, yes. Yeah, I mean, I guess because it's Sanjaya, we got to give him a shot here. So, Sanjaya, you know the rules. I'm going to start the song, and when it stops, you take over. And we're going to do a wuss rock song with a lot of hair. Let's do it, baby. And ride with you, Eri Papani.
They're not. He just wants to hang out on a pony with Eddie. I understand that. Don't we all, really? When you think about it, I mean, don't we all? Well, it was clear that me and Sanjaya were on that pony and we were bareback. It made me laugh. It made me laugh, which we say is one of the rules, so I've got to say thumbs up. How about that? Sky, how do you vote? Yeah, if he would have said horse, I would have been out. But the fact that he said he wants to be on a pony pony with Eddie. I mean, I can't deny that kind of love. And we've met Sanjaya, so the visual's fantastic. Yes, it is. Sean, what about you? Yeah, for me, I mean, you know, it's obvious that he likes eating bullet pops in front of a steel mill. Okay, thank you very much. And Mikey saw Slaughter at 4th and B. That is correct. That is correct. I was drunk and handing out business cards to girls. When was this? Are you kidding me? I'm just being honest. To be honest, I was really drunk and stupid. How long ago? Yeah, when was that? Oh, it was years ago. 2006, I guess, would have been last year. In the 90s. When was that, Eddie? That had to be 96, something like 95, 96. Wow, that is crazy. P1 Worm is on the line. Worm. Mikey, how's it going, man? Pretty good, dude. Are you ready to play a little Wuss Rock?
I don't know. Can I get my You're a Dirty Girl Sky sound? Yeah, I think we've got You're a Dirty Girl somewhere on here. Let me find it. Oh, my gosh. Sean, are you ready with that? Oh, I'm ready. Sean, he's finding it. It's You're a Dirty Girl Sky. Sean's trying to find it, but he doesn't like it when people tell him what to do, but he's finding it anyway. Well, he's an artiste. I actually hate it. He hates it. He's an artiste. For being honest. Yeah, he kind of, you know, he doesn't want somebody to walk up to him while he's molding clay and say, I think that nose should be a little bigger on that work of art. But he is going to comply this time. Go ahead, Sean. Are you sure? Yeah, we're positive. I'm not. Okay, Sean, it will, if you see, it'll just, it'll drag out the bit if you can't play the thing for him. Worm, here we go. Here's your drop. Oh, I heard it. One more time. Oh, I was talking over it. That was a problem. Oh, no, you just talked over it. Sean, go ahead and play that sucker. Okay, what's up? You're a dirty girl, Scott. There it is. Thank you. I'm ready now. All right, here we go. Yeah, I gotta have faith. Oh, I gotta have faith, faith, faith. Yes, I gotta have faith.
I just put on a pair of big, oversized, mirrored sunglasses to go to Eddie on this one. Eddie, what do you think? Can I see your butt in those jeans? Nice. Nice. It works for me. Thanks, guys. It works for me. Thank you. Here's the deal. What was his name? P1? P1 Worm. I should have known because we spent Sunday night together watching the Oscars, mainly the red carpet stuff. Clearly, Anne Hathaway's Versace gown was the best of the night. It was beautiful. Best of the night. As you were singing fake to me then, so I give it a big thumbs up. Oh, there you go. Sky, what did you think of Worm's performance? Well, I know we're supposed to go on singing alone. I know I've heard this is a singing competition. And, you know, he got all the words right. The vocals were a little off, but I do have to give extra points for the costuming. The pink dolphin shorts and the candy necklace really added to the performance. Yeah, yeah. What's the whole package? Yeah, congratulations. Stunning. Yeah, beautiful. Sean, what did you think?
Well, you know, it wasn't exactly perfect, Mike. But I will say that I've seen him hanging out with the day workers in front of Home Depot dressed like Pippi Longstocking. So I will say that he's gay. It's actually a little bit of a mistake there, too, Sean. It's actually Wendy from the Wendy's billboard. But they do look very similar to me. I can understand how you could have made that mistake. No problem. Worm, you're a winner. Hang on. And finally, P1 Elroy, how are you? Great, Mikey. How are you? Good. Elroy was the dog in the Jetsons, if I remember correctly. He was the boy. His boy Elroy. And the dog was Astro. Okay, that is too much information. Thank you, Eddie. Elroy, do you know how the game is played? I do. All right, here we go. I just died. Get it. It's really pretty. Uh-oh. Oh, wait a second, Elroy. Eddie, what do you think? Oh, no. He's blown away. I am. Yeah, it's good. Okay. Unbelievable. Another, I mean, three for three today. I never thought I would live to see the day when there were so many homosexuals calling in and winning on this game. Thumbs up. Wow. Great job. Eddie liked you. Great job. Get on my pony. Yeah.
There's plenty of room, baby. Well, to be honest, I am a little disappointed. Eddie immediately looked at her like, what's your problem? He got the words right. The tonality was unbelievable. Ashley looks confused. Everyone seems confused. What can you ask from this man? I'm disappointed that he didn't sing more of the song. It was that good. It was that good. It was that good. Sean, what did you think of his performance? Mike, I thought he was excellent. Excellent. And it's no doubt to me that your favorite drink at Starbucks is a latte with two pumps of Jake Gyllenhaal smoldering ice. That could have gone horribly wrong. That's one hot drink. That is a great drink. I'll take mine extra hot if you don't mind. Hang on, Elroy. You're a winner.
Last but not least, P1 Chemistry. Chemistry, you want to give this a shot? What's going down, my brown? Not too much, dude. Here we go. Well, that will certainly teach me to end on an up note. Eddie, what did you think? I knew it was next to impossible to go 4 for 4 today. It's clear that you showed up at a furry convention just for fun. And not for the real reason why people go because they're gay perverts. Wow, shut it, Sean. Good one, Eddie. Shut up, Ashley. Sky. Sky. Sky, you're out, right? Sky is just beside herself. I'm really upset. She's irritated. She's tearing her own hair out. Sean, what did you think? Sean, get him. I don't give an F, Mike. I'm not a person.
You are. You're a pervert. Well, Eddie didn't say you were a pervert. He said you were a gay pervert. Let's be clear. Mikey's show will be right back. If we care. Automation from Rock 10. It's called Virgin America, and they just started flying out of San Diego a couple of weeks ago. And I was lucky enough to take a flight with them to San Francisco. And wow, I mean, I'm being honest when I tell you I really don't want to fly any other airline ever again after this experience. I always dreaded flying as like.
You know, the cattle call and you get your boarding group and everybody's squishing together and the seats are all close and there's nothing to do and everything's all gross and sticky and whatever. Dude, Virgin America, they get it. It's like the exact... opposite of that one of the well there's a lot of cool things about flying virgin america i mean they just get it they make your trip like it's like your vacation actually starts now when you get on the plane not when you land at your destination but when you get on the plane one of the really cool things about virgin america is every seat whether you're in the main cabin or sitting first class gets its own tv screen a touch tv screen that allows you to do so many different cool things to pass the time Yesterday, I had mentioned how my husband was watching ESPN and watching this baseball press conference and stuff. But in addition to live satellite TV, they also have like...
The only way I can describe it is kind of like an in-demand TV type thing where you can touch and pick different shows that you want to watch. Like some of the options that they had when I flew the other weekend was episodes of 30 Rock, episodes of The Office, Heroes, Dexter, My Name is Earl, The Simpsons. I mean, there's so many cool things. So you don't even have to watch commercials. It's like watching it at home on your TiVo. And before you know it, you're at your destination. It goes so fast. When I flew, I was in the middle of an episode for The Office. And so I didn't want the flight to... end because I wanted to finish my episode of The Office. So Virgin America gets it. Main cabin seats start at $44. First class seats start at $149. Check out their website. It's virginamerica.com. The ride's getting pretty tough out here in some spots here. We give you a backstage pass, and you get to enjoy the show live and in person and in the studio the entire show long. So I want to read you an email that a listener sent me and see if anybody in our listening audience knows anything about this stuff. Because I don't know too much about how cell phones work. And so I want to see if anybody in the audience knows anything about it. Because you get these kinds of emails all the time. A listener sent it to me and said, do you think that this is real? And I usually always err on the side of nothing's real. Anything I get forwarded that is any sort of like, be careful of this. I usually always think, oh, it's a hoax. But I want to see what you guys think about this.
You may remember that a young woman was recently abducted from a Target parking lot in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City. Do you guys remember this? Video camera surveillance caught it. How long ago? Well, her body was discovered many miles away in Missouri. Does that ring a bell? It was like at least a year ago. Probably about a year ago. I don't remember. They say they were able to locate her by the sequence of... cell phone towers that picked up her cell phone location. She had not attempted to dial out, but when her family was trying to call her, the towers could sense her phone. Sadly, the authorities were not able to reach her in time. However, they were able to locate her body, which was in an area where they would have never searched without the cell phone tower information. The cell phone locator can either be set on one of two settings, something called E911, in which case you must dial out to be located. Or it can be set to be on all the time, something called location on. Okay? It says there is no higher battery usage from having it on all the time. With it on all the time, you can be located by emergency services through the police if you fail to respond, if you're sick or you're injured or worse.
I found it on my cell phone location. I found that my cell phone location was not turned on. I turned it on so my phone can be traced. All cell phones have this feature. It's called location. On my phone, it was under the settings tool. Once you turn this on, then your phone is traceable. Select location on instead of E911 only. To stay safe, everyone needs to check their phones and turn this on. Okay, so my question is, does anybody listening know anything about it? Ashley's checking her cell phone right now to see if she can find it. Yeah, I've heard that's true about locating based on the tower signal when people are trying to call you and they're trying to find you. Oh, I knew that they can find you by... I knew they could do that. What I didn't know is that there's some feature inside your phone called locator on or E911. Yeah, you'd think it would be like a default for it automatically to be on. Would that be the same as airtime warnings? No. Skye, so do you know for sure that there's something called E911? No, I don't know that. I just assumed that all cell phones did that. Or we're always doing it. We're always doing it.
Me too. That's my understanding too. So I'm interested to see what these guys find when they're going through their cell phones right now looking for it. Manage appointments. Yeah, that's it. I think it's called, now in a lot of people's cell phones they call it address book. Ring styles. See, because when I first read it, I thought, I bet it's a hoax. I wonder if there is nothing in anybody's cell phone called location. And the whole joke is that the world is looking for it and they can't find it. That's funny. To dumb jerks that send something like that out, to somebody that makes a prank, then it's a bunch of people looking on their phones for something that doesn't exist. I don't got it. I couldn't find it on mine. So that's what I'm saying. I don't know. But now I'm getting instant message from P1 Jess that says it's true. It's also used for navigation. You found it in yours? Yeah. You found something called location? Yeah, it's under location. I've seen it before. Like at the top of the phone, at least on my phone, there's a little, there's like a crosshair looking thing that lets you know that location is on. Like if I turn it, there's location on and 911 only.
If I turn on 911 only, a red cross goes through the location. What was your set to? It was set to location on. Okay. And it should be. If you don't have it set to location on, it probably should be, you know, because you want people to be able to get a hold of you if you're missing or whatever. P1 Kevin? Yep. What's going on? Hey, I have Helio, and I have a thing on my phone called Buddy Beacon. I got me and my girlfriend the same phone. I have the ocean. And if I send her a message, it'll tell me exactly where she is, the address, the time. And, like, say she's at Target, inside Target, it'll tell me she's inside Target, the address, the phone number, everything. Get out of here. That's crazy. And my phone has GPS and, like, Google and Google Maps. And if it says, say she's at your station and I don't know that address, I go on Google Maps. And I could see a real picture of your building. So you stalk your girlfriends with this device. Well, it's taking a leap, Ashley. You know, somebody's saying they necessarily stalks her. We didn't get it because of that. We got it because of the unlimited minutes and all that. Sure you did, buddy. Sure you did. Yeah, right. Thank you, Kevin. P1 John's on the line says his buddies steal cell phones. And he knows all about it. Oh, good.
John, what can you tell us? Awesome! A couple of friends of mine, they like to swipe other people's phones from public places. I told them, if you keep doing this, they usually get the phones and they're locked. And when they're locked, usually somebody will put the locator on. So if they lose the phone, they can either call their carrier and have them tell them where the phone is. Like the other caller just said, you can Google it and find it that way as well. As long as the location is on, if the E911 is on, then you can't do it that way. But just leave it on. Absolutely leave it on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. People should look in their cell phones, try to find something called location, and have it turned on. Yeah, I found it online. If you look at your phone right now, on the top of it, there should be a small target, like a crosshairs and a circle. And next to that crosshairs and circle, if your location is on, you'll see three half circles next to it. I wonder if this is something only available on certain phones or if you have to know what it's called on other phones. Eddie, did you find it on yours? I didn't see it. I mean, I didn't look very long, but I didn't see it in the settings thing. And maybe it was something that maybe the original idea behind it was maybe, I don't know, man. Like, what would the idea be for exactly this, right?
for exactly if somebody's lost or if they need to get a hold of you. Or if you want to stalk your girlfriend. Well, if you want to stalk your girlfriend at Target, right? Nice. Could be the reason. Is this P1 Pac-Man? Yeah. You don't know me, Pac-Man. What's going on, Pac-Man? Yeah, I had never heard that before. And I have a Razor with Verizon, and I just checked it, and it's on. And mine was just at the 911 only. Oh, really? I had never heard that. I work in public safety, and I'd never heard that before. It's a pretty good thing to know, then. That's crazy. I guess it turns out this is because I'm telling you, man, I got it from a listener. I'm like, that can't be for real. I had to go in tools. I went under system, and location was right there. I clicked location, and it came right up. And it was set to only 911, which is weird. It said E911 only, and that was checked. And then there's another one above it that says all. There you go, man. You want to feel safer. Set that sucker to location on. I'm going to call my wife now so I can stalk her, too. Yeah. Sounds really cool, man. Thank you, man. Appreciate the phone call. P1 Jason's on the line. Hey, this is P1 Jason. And on the Motorola Razr, it is under systems and on tools. That's what you have, Eddie, right? Systems? It's under systems. Eddie's going to check right now. Eddie's got a Razr. I saw settings. I didn't see that. Go to settings.
Go ahead, Jason. Go to settings. Then go to system. What about sounds? Don't think so. That is not the 911 call? Fine. That is not it. Do you have tools? Go to tools. You go to settings and tools and then number five is system. Is that it? I changed it. Ashley's still looking for it, but she keeps coming up with jams. Yeah, she gets it. She's got some really... Mike! Sorry, I'm... Mike! Somebody called her out. What, do you want her to have Cry Me a River? Yeah, for real, Metro Man. What do you want from me? I want some better music. How about that? How about this? Is this hard enough for you? Let me hear it. You are so gay. Whatever. Eddie, did you find it? Uh-uh. He's still looking...
P1 Jason, Eddie's got a razor. Do you have a razor, Eddie? Yeah. He's still having trouble finding it. You know what? P1's our very own Seth. Seth will find it for you. Seth, take a look in there and see if you can find it. Well, Seth. Thank you, Jason. Let's see. P1 Relic, are you on the line? Yes, I am. Hi, Relic. How you doing? Go ahead. All right. Well, I used to work for... Qualcomm. I'm doing well. Any phone that uses the post-digital phones, what's called PCS, which is for personal communication satellite, can use those locators because they're essentially a GPS device in the phone in order to transmit the signal of the phone call. That's my favorite. Any phone that uses the pre-digital, the analog signal, such as Cricut, can't use the locator because it can't send a GPS signal. I think it depends on the phone. No, Zed has Cricket. Yeah, and Zed's got it on his phone. Zed's dead, baby. Cricket phones can do it, but other Cricket phones still use old analog signals like my wife. She's using Cricket now, and hers can't do it because she only connects to analog signals. Interesting. My wife uses Cricket. I'm going to see if she's got it. We all use Cricket. Thank you. Why don't we text Pedro and ask him where we find it on there? You know what I'm saying?
Let's see. P1 Jammin', are you there? Hey, I'm here. What's going on? Hey, you know that setting for the 911 only? It's the setting that allows you to, even if the phone doesn't have service, still call 911 no matter what from any cell phone anywhere. Really? That's what that 911 setting is for. I worked as a supervisor for Verizon for a couple years, and that's what they set that up as. So the locator you can have, but yeah, the 911, you can use your cell phone no matter what if it doesn't have service. I've tried it to call 911. Cool, dude. I appreciate it. No problem. Thanks. Let's go to the Eddie phone. Oh, it's ringing? Oh, my gosh. Really? Hello? Yeah. Hello? I don't hear anything. It's still ringing. Oh, hello. There you are. There he is. Huh? Hey, Eddie. What's up? Who's this? This is Pedro. Oh! Beanie, what's up? Pedro del Cricket. Yeah, I'm glad you're calling in. Hey, Pedro. Yeah, the reason I was calling you is because, well, I met these guys, okay? Uh-huh. And they seemed very nice in the beginning. Uh-huh. And they said to me, would you like to come and party with us, okay? Okay. And I said, yeah, we'd love to do this. And so I go with him. Uh-huh. And the next thing you know, we're having a couple of drinks, okay? A couple of drinks. Just a couple? Hey, Joe.
We had a few of them more. You guys in Patron? No. A few of them more. Okay. Yep. And so after I wake up, I notice my clothes is missing. Okay? Your clothes are missing. Your clothes are missing. Right. My clothes are missing. That's weird. And I am never going to believe this part, right? But I am... Naked. Uh-huh. Right now? Naked? What? Si. Okay. Okay. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. Do you have your locator on your phone? This is why I called. Uh-huh. Okay. Because I'm wondering if you can locate me to get me out of the trunk. Oh, you're still in the trunk right now? Si. Oh, no. Patriot. That's not good. And what I want to tell to you people is if you happen to see on the YouTube any social videos of me when I was last night, you know, just ignore them. Are you okay? Yeah, because I was in Haiti. Are you serious?

Another gripping real-life story from the Mossy Toyota Makes It Happen files. It was a Thursday afternoon, and Jane Doe was on a mission. A mission? Well... I had been to three other Toyota dealers that week. It was a mission to get a great deal on a new Yaris, and nothing would stop her. I did have offers from those other dealers, but... But then Jane went to Mossy Toyota's new state-of-the-art facility in Pacific Beach, filled with high-def video screens, free internet access, free coffee bar, and so on. And Mossy Toyota made it happen. What a deal.

I was actually talking to people in the lobby asking, why do you come here as opposed to going to the dealership? The answer again and again. Because when I went to the dealership, they wanted to replace everything. But the great thing about coming to Amco is they just fix it. So go to Amco. Amco is double A-M-C-O. One of the best things about working out at Frog's Fitness is I haven't been sick.
In over a year. I haven't gotten sick in over... Wait a second, though, dude. Because you were coughing a minute ago. Just a second ago. I have a tickle in my throat. Calm down. That's the truth, though. I haven't been sick. I can't tell you the last time I've been sick. And I attribute some of that to being able to work out and staying healthy. Boost your immune system. The reason why these two clowns are giving me a hard time is because I told them this morning I think I may be coming down with something. But I'm all right. I don't know. I can't tell you that. I'm in that gray zone. I'm in a gray zone where I'm not sure. It could go one way or the other. Yeah, you're the host monkey. I'm not the host monkey. The broad in there has had the flu for two weeks. Yeah, you're the host monkey. Yeah, she's Cuba Gooden Jr., man. Yeah, you're a host. You're a host. You should get a host family. Dustin Hoffman. Yeah. Nothing. Exactly. Anyway, working out at Frog's Fitness has been wonderful. When you signed up at Frog's, every new member receives two free personal training sessions right out of the gate. You're a host. Which is fantastic. The hostess with the mostest. Yeah. You bet. Yeah, the hostess with the mostest flu. I don't play into their game. I'm just helping. You're not helping. Flu bug. Yeah.
Ashley likes to do yoga. Yeah. That's true. And they have yoga classes at Frogs Fitness. That's right. What are you trying to do here? Flu bug. Buddy. She probably caught the flu there. That's right. But anyway, work out at Frogs Fitness. They got all the greatest equipment, all the greatest trainers. It is a great place to work out. Check out their website. It's frogsfit.com where you can always give them a call at 877-FROGS-FIT today. Sky, Ashley, and Rob detest. Thank you. The way that it works, we will ask questions of Sky, Ashley, Rob. These questions are too many of us, not all of us. They're common knowledge. Well, if you have a high school education, they are. Sky, what is the name of the dog sled race from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska? Ice road truckers. Mikey's show continues. Go give him a kiss.
Welcome back. It's 7.52. The governor is upset with... Well, he's upset because... Sky is just focused on Eddie. His germs are like all around me. Sean, I wish you were here. Sean, make him go away. Well, he's upset over a National Guard equipment shortage saying that it's the federal government's fault. I'm going to send Sean a letter. Carl Edwards won the ring delay Auto Club 500 in Fontana yesterday. Send him a letter. Send him a wet towel. Inside the letter will be a Kleenex. Dear Sean, enjoy this Kleenex. It's only been used once. What you do is you wrap him a pencil in the Kleenex so he thinks that's the gift. So he holds it and examines it. Sean, isn't that funny? Okay, let's get back. Oh, no. She didn't like that. So we were talking about the cell phone thing and the location thing on there. Yeah. And we got P1 Paranoia on the line. Paranoia, are you there? I am here, Mikey. Okay, now what we were talking about was we were saying that cell phones have either one or two settings. You can set your cell phone to something called location on, which will allow the police and for rescue people or whatever to be able to locate you. We were talking about a story of a girl that went missing in the Midwest.
They found her body. Her cell phone did not have that thing turned on. It was default set to something called E911, which meant that you couldn't locate her unless it was turned on. And so P1 Paranoia, what were you calling to say? I was calling mainly to say that, you know, we'll just say government control, you know, will be a thing of the future. And one of the things is, of course, you know, tracking our every movement. Mm-hmm. You've, of course, heard of the U.S. Patriot Act. Right. Right. Okay, and that was implemented over terrorist attacks over 9-11. That's correct. Great tragedy. Yes. Well, with this Patriot Act, it gives anyone who has any sort of pretty much authority to, you know, listen in to phone calls for whatever reason. Right. Track emails, snail mail, all that stuff. Mm-hmm. And also, they can, you know, follow you around. So let's say you wanted to start preaching stuff negative about the government in general. You know, they're going to focus in on you and everything. So all this stuff about, you know, safety, safety, safety, you know, gets people intrigued, obviously. Right. And, you know, also convenience and reform. So it's one of these things where, let's say, you know, again, Skye. Paranoia. And all of her protests. Hang on. Let me interrupt you for a second because I can tell.
I can tell by the cadence that unless I interrupt you, you're going to go for a while. So let me interrupt you a little bit. I don't have a problem with high-ranking government officials listening to my boring phone conversations. Emails about bananas. My email's about bananas. I don't care. I do not care what they hear or what they're looking. And I'll be honest with you. I don't think that they are concerned with me. Who cares? I really don't think that they're... Until you start making waves. Yeah, exactly what Sky said. Until you start making noise... Sky, you're just getting this guy riled up and you know it. Hey, the man. We're Americans. We have freedoms. If you were working on Air America... I think they would be listening to you right now. Thank you. Yes, and they're probably listening to me right now. Now, let me ask you, Paranoia. Just the fact that he called us, we're now on the list. Yes. Paranoia. What do you care that they listen to you? Unless you're selling drugs, what do you care? You know, you're good to go. Who cares? You know what they're going to hear?
Can you get me some formula and also don't forget to pick up some diapers and blah, blah, blah. Now, back in the day when I was buying drugs or something, I probably wouldn't want Big Brother listening in. I'd be paranoid that I'm going to get popped. But now that I'm a law-abiding citizen, I don't care what boring conversation they hear. Who cares? I mean, seriously. We're going to say right now, I mean, yeah, you're saying that, but let's just say, you know, they start implementing more rules and rules and rules due to safety. Like, let's just say that, let's just say that my grandmother has roller skates. Does she? No. Oh. But I mean, you know, like you're, listen, Paranoia, you're getting into a very cuckoo thing. Like, it's, like, I know. Who is? Charlie Sheen. I'm telling you, dude. That sounds so Sheen-ish, man. It does, dude. You're very Sheen-like. You give our government too much credit. You really do. Honestly, if you're thinking that, you're giving our government too much credit. You think that they got a lot more time on their hands than they do. I really do believe that our government is trying to protect us. I really do.
And the reason I think they do is because I think that they got into that line of work because they were interested in their government around them. That's why some of us are DJs and some of us are working for the CIA or the FBI protecting us. I believe, perhaps foolishly, I believe that they love the United States of America and they want to protect it. I think that. I don't think they're after this random 25 year old dude that is calling me right now and his cell phone and we're going to find him and we're going to like, I think you're thinking too much. Ashley's dad works for the FBI. Yeah, I would be really interested to hear it. My dad has to say because that's exactly what he does. He tracks like that's his job. He's the high tech supervisor and his job is to track. in terms of kidnappings, bombings, or bomb threats and terrorism and spies and all that crazy stuff. And I definitely do not think that, like, there are going to be eavesdropping on anything petty that a 25-year-old is doing. I think you're right, Mikey. Yeah, and if they do, let's say that her dad, let's say that Ashley's dad, that's his job, right? Let's say that her dad decides one day that he's just going to randomly...
on his database bring up a billion different numbers and just randomly select one he would never okay he would never but let's say he did okay let's say because what paranoia on the phone here is essentially his point is man people could be listening so let's say paranoia let's say that your name is greg johnson okay i don't know what your name is but let's say that your name how'd you guess my name exactly i knew it but let's say that your name is greg johnson okay Greg Johnson's calling me right now. And he's like, dude, I'm telling you, man, we got to be careful of this stuff because eventually the government, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Let's say that Ashley's dad, who's in that line of work, he brings up this big database and there's a Greg Johnson. He don't know you from Adam, bro. Okay. But you're thinking, it's almost like hitting the lottery, the chances of this happening with you, that he's going to select you and he's going to listen in. Well, first of all, he's going to listen for about two. First of all, he's got to listen when you're on the phone. And let's say he's got some kind of thing that'll tell him that you are. So he listens right then. He's not going to hear anything. That's going to infringe upon you and your lifestyle. Unless, of course, Greg Johnson is calling his friend Toby so-and-so. McGuire. Toby McGuire. And he's saying, I'd like to buy some Rockstar heroin. If he hears that, you might be in trouble. Toby's got the goods. I'm telling you, that even seems so far-fetched to me. Because with what my dad does in the FBI, that stuff is petty to him. He's looking for the spies.
the kidnappers, the terrorists. You know, he doesn't have time to be eavesdropping on, like, whatever you're doing, like, with what, I mean, I think that there's priorities. There's two types of people, though, Greg Johnson. Paranoia. There's two types of people. Greg Johnson, it is. Greg Johnson. There are two types of people. Please. Is there two types of people? Yes. I heard that. Two types of people. The people that won't shut up. And the people that want them to. There is people who I believe are fundamentally kind of like Eddie and I's thinking, which is just shut up and relax and take it easy and shut up, will you? Shut up! Okay, there's that person. Then there's the person that like has on a headband or something. Made of tinfoil. Yes. They're hippies or something. What are you saying? They want to be like hippies. People who wear headbands are hippies. Yes. Clearly. And they're just like, the man and big brother. They don't even think about what they're saying. They're just saying it. But if they think about it for a second, they're going to realize it's like Ashley's dad. Like, dude, nobody cares about your stupid thing. And I used to be like...
Paranoia. I used to think like you did until I thought it through, bro. But I'm like, oh, you know what? I don't think they care about me and my stupid stuff that I'm talking about. Exactly. Who cares? Don't they have, and I don't know, that they have computers and stuff that look for selected words? Keywords. Keywords. Conversations and emails and things like that. Like bananas? Yep. Could be. I think that's exactly it, dude. Yeah, and I think with this whole cell phone locator, it's an option. Like, we were just talking, you can turn it on or you can turn it off. Like, if the government was saying, hey, I want to implant a GPS device in your wrist, like, okay, then I'm going to start a protest. And he's like, hey, whatever. But, I mean, an option on my cell phone, come on. So this is the email I wrote to Sky last night. First of all, the subject of the email was nanners. Red flagged. I'm going to tell you right now, the email exchange between Skye and I may have been red flagged. It may have been. But I said, the subject was nanners, and I said, yo, Ski, I'm bringing a banana that's too green for me tomorrow. Do you have any ripe ones that you'd like to trade? She writes me back and says, you are too funny. For some reason, this email really made me laugh. I believe the man is monitoring my email.
and does not believe that we could really be talking about a banana. Yes, I have a ripe banana to trade with you tomorrow. Wink. Exactly. And when I read that, I started laughing because I was like, it's true. That probably would have been something that would have been a little fishy. But it really was about bananas. Especially because your name is Esparza. Exactly. I'm thinking Colombian. Hello. You know what I'm saying? Now, it's just got an email. From a friend of mine that said, hey, can you ask if this feature is available on BlackBerrys? So I'll just say across the board, if you're concerned about making sure that your locator is on on your cell phone, just call whatever carrier you're with, which should be Cricket. If it isn't Cricket, you're strange.
The worst. Whatever, you know what I mean? Like, you should be with cricket. Bad person. Terrorist. You're a terrorist, you know? P1 to Alex, are you there? I'm right here. What's up? Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good. Hey, I mean, I can kind of understand where this P1 paranoia is coming from. I mean, because there's got to be some limits, you know? I mean, whatever happened to, like, you know, I don't want to preach or anything, but whatever happened to due process, whatever happened to having to get subpoenas to... Alex, let me just ask you this. Let me just ask you this. That's true. Okay. But Alex, let me ask you this. Yeah. You know what this is about, like this particular thing. And you know what particular thing the Patriot Act was about, which was trying to find terrorists emailing about each other, okay? Emailing each other. Right. So, like, is there any part of you that just goes, you know what? I don't have anything to hide. Let my government protect me. If it means reading my emails, who cares? Like, I don't think they're going to read anything that... Are you really that concerned? Whatever happened to a world where planes aren't flying into buildings? Yeah, man. I understand, Eddie, but you know what? It still comes down to, you know... Your privacy? Well, no, not so much privacy. I mean, privacy, yes, is an issue, but then it just starts...
Like, give an example of how it happens. It opens the door. It really doesn't, though. It does. That sounds good when you say it. No, it does. When you say it opens the door. When they start taking rights away. Give me an example of how they have. Like, the right to due process. The right to the fact that they should have to get a warrant to get into my personal business. And that's the way it's always been until the Patriot Act. But give me those examples where this has been happening, where people have been, like, so, like, overrun with people just going, ah, we're going to use the Patriot Act to screw you over. Patriot Act was designed for us to be able to... Not yet, but that's why we're taking the steps towards it. We're taking away rights. We're opening that door, and it's on a scary track. We're using our imagination to think of that, but we don't have any real examples to back that up. But somebody 15 years ago could have used their imagination to imagine the day when they didn't need a warrant to tap my phone. They don't need a warrant to tap your phone because they're trying to... After 9-11, everything changed. But terrorism's been going on forever. There's been bombings forever. Not on our soil. Not on our soil. Not only that. The World Trade Center, how many times were there bomb threats? Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. You're absolutely right. Not only were there bomb threats, but in 1992, there was actually an attack in the parking structure below it. This is what I'm saying. What are you saying? 9-11 was so big.
And it was on a scale that was so big with such human loss and was so tragic that after that, they enacted the Patriot Act so that they could be able to start looking at stuff and trying to, like Eddie said, try to find keywords and root out this source of evil. Okay. Now, the thing that I think is very, very important for us to remember is that we don't have examples of people who's, as a result of the Patriot Act, We're singled out for being innocent and not doing anything and, okay, this is opening the door. Okay, if we think it's opening the door, opening the door to what? And also, also, what is the bigger, when we weigh the two, what is the bigger gain in our country? Our country being safer or our country not being safer? And here's some examples that I can give you.
We stopped at the border in Mexico. We stopped a shipment of uranium at the border of Mexico. In Canada, there was a... Due to the Patriot Act? Sky, I don't know. Well, you can't cite that as an example if you're in the middle of defending the Patriot Act. You can't cite that as an example. Then let me say this. It could have just been old-fashioned footwork, Mike. It could be. Apples to apples. It could be. I'm going to give Sky that. It could be. It could also be... as a result of the Patriot Act. Because I can tell you this, we've been a safer America, man. There have been so many examples that we've heard in the news of something snuffed out before it happened. Am I right or am I wrong? I'm not right. You're 100% right. We have heard so many examples of plans that were made that were snuffed out. Now, Sky's right. Sky's right. I can't specifically go, well, it was a Patriot Act. But we know it is. But we know it is. If you're going to go that route, I mean, 9-11 could have been snuffed out before it even happened. Is that right, Michael Moore? Great, thanks. Hey, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something that the Republicans will tell you. The Republicans will tell you the exact same thing, that yes, it could have been snuffed out. But there was a guy named Bill Clinton who turned a silent ear to it. Oh, no.
He was warned about Osama bin Laden. He was warned about Osama bin Laden way back in 1997. And he tried to take action in Afghanistan, and the Republicans stood in his way. Get up, Sean! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Whatever, man. Whatever. Rock! San Diego St. Patrick's Day, brought to you by Spinnock's Irish Ale. And now, another conversation with a man who hasn't switched to Geico. I'm afraid the problem is Geico.com. What do you mean? It makes shopping for car insurance too easy. Way too easy. Well, we just thought folks should be able to get a rate quote without jumping through a lot of hoops. Really? What's next? Using Geico.com to pay my bill? Report a claim? Add a driver? Well, now that you mention it. Oh, no. If you don't mind car insurance made easy, visit Geico.com or call 1-800-947-AUTO. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance.
Another good thing about GEICO is they've got, like, real live people working there 24-7. So, like, say you need to report a claim, right? A real person will be there to help you. Then you can use GEICO.com to view photos of the damage, track your claim, print an estimate. You want an English muffin? They literally hand you a toasted muffin with butter and jam. Oh, it's tasty. That's a complete dramatisation, of course, but you get my point. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance. Who's ready for the Padres? I am. Baseball's back, baby. into downtown, actually past the bridge into downtown S-curve, and then backs up again and past the airport all the way into Mission Bay. North 805, you've got those pockets of slowing hitting you again into North Park, and then it struggles quite heavily out of Kearney Mesa, approaching that 163, and that's a slow one up to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. West 94 on the King Freeway, you're fine at Lemon Grove, but once you hit around, approaching that 805 from there, it's pretty solid now, all the way into downtown. West 8's been a rough one as well here this morning. Still going to find a few brake lights left over here. Nope, not anymore. In the Cajon Valley, you're looking okay. But once you get over to the Grossmont Summit into La Mesa, right around Spring Street is where it gets you. From there, it's quite a heavy ride all the way in past the queue to Mission Center Road here in Mission Valley. Kind of a tough one there on the 8th this morning. South on 15, they're looking better out of Vescondido. Some breaking up a little bit. Now a slow out of Rancho Bernardo in towards Poway. The coastal route, South on 5, heavy as always out of Lucadia in a Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 English guy. How are you doing, Mikey? I'm doing good, man. Did you go to Amco? Sure did. They were the best people I've ever been to. What was the deal? What was going on with your car? Well, pretty much my engine light came on. Engine was overheating. It actually had a cracked head. And they dropped it off in the morning. They did the diagnostics within one hour. Dropped it off in the morning. Picked it up after work. So great, man. Now, would you recommend people taking their cars to Amco? Of course. I'm telling everyone about it.
That's great, man. I appreciate the phone call. That's P1 English guy. This could be you, man. This could definitely be you. I'm telling you, I take our cars to Amco. They are very qualified. They do transmissions, oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, cooling systems, and they don't want to fix what isn't broke. You don't need an appointment, and they're going to honor almost all extended warranties. You really should be taking your car to Amco. Don't take it to the dealer. The dealer wants to replace an Amco. Wants to fix. It's Amco. Double A. Beep beep. M-C-O. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. It's so awkward. And so, um, Eddie, what's the word? Crappy? No. K-I-O-Z. San Diego's Rock. Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on The Money. We're looking for guys that want to play Wuss Rock jukebox. It's clear that you showed up at a furry convention just for fun. And not for the real reason why people go because they're gay perverts. You son! Wow, shot it, shot him. The fun's down. Good one, Eddie. Shot him. Give it up, buddy. Well, Eddie didn't say you were a pervert. He said you were a gay pervert. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back. It is 8-19.
Valerie Bertinelli was on Oprah yesterday talking about drugs and infidelity in her marriage with Eddie Van Halen. Peter Forsberg returns to the NHL with his old team, the Colorado Avalanche. If you would like to vote for M-Tube, M-Tube are all these videos. We got, I mean, so many submissions of people that wanted to be a part of M-Tube. M stands for Mikey. And we were doing something called M-Tube, which was a way for you to utilize YouTube to promote the Mikey show. The idea was you would go on there, you would make a video, you'd put it on YouTube, then send it to us. We posted all these suckers, man, and people were able to go through and look at all these different videos promoting the Mikey Show. And then after that, we picked the top five best ones and we're letting you vote on them right now. Just go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And in the keyword section, type in the word finals.
It's worth the time investment. Oh, yeah. Because it is hysterical. These videos, these five videos are so funny. That gangsta panda is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. It's so great. The Raiders of the Lost Ark was so well put together. It is so good. Special cameo by Sky. Unbelievable. Thank you. The real world. The Mikey Show real world is hysterical. It's so stupid. It's so stupid. It's funny. To catch a Mikey show. To catch a Mikey show. Wasn't it a catch a Mikey show listener? Yes. Catch a Mikey show listener. It's like to catch a predator, but it's a Mikey show. And the Hitler one is hysterical. Yeah. So check these out. Check these out, man. There's five of them and we want you to watch them and then vote for the one that you like the best. It's easy. It's easy. Thank you. It is easy. Thank you so much, Hillary Clinton. First thing you got right. That's right. P1 going deep on the line. Must be a fisherman. Hey, Mikey. How's it going? Good, man. How you doing? First calling in with that cell phone locator thing. Uh-huh. Hey, I was watching this thing on TV about a month ago where they were able to actually trace a murderer's cell phone and use his records to get a conviction on it. That's fantastic.
I mean, I'm sure all of us like hearing that. Yeah, because, like, the body was out of state where they found the body. Right. And they had him as a suspect, but they couldn't prove that he was there until they pulled his cell phone records. And, yeah, he didn't even make a call or nothing. The tower just picked up his phone within, like, a half a mile where the body was discovered. Exactly. That's a good thing, then. It's good that they have that thing going on. Yeah, yeah. So that's an example of the government doing something for us. All right. I agree with you 100%, man. I appreciate you calling. Hey, thanks, man. See you. Strangest thing in the world just happened on the Today Show. I was like, what is going on? Why is that? They're doing a reunion on the Today Show right now of the show One Day at a Time. The reason is because Valerie Bertinelli is doing a tour right now because she just released a book about her life. And so what the Today Show thought they would do for fun is they would get all of the cast of One Day at a Time together. And what you've got up there is Bonnie Franklin, who played the mother.
You've got Mackenzie Phillips, who played the sister. And you've got Valerie Bertinelli, who played the other sister. Don't forget Schneider. And Schneider is up there. Pat Harrington is up there, too. He's sitting there. So it's the four of them, and they're sitting there, and they're doing this thing. And all of a sudden, guess who walks on the set for no apparent reason? I figured I'd leave it there for 24 hours. He's standing behind me. You're going to hear who it is in just a second. But all of a sudden, they're in the middle of this interview, and everybody kind of stops like, what's going on? There is a person standing behind Pat Harrington right now. Gary Coleman is, for some reason, for some random reason, Gary Coleman started standing behind them. And they're like, what is going on? Good to see you. How you doing, man? I'm all right. We should mention Gary doesn't just hang around here every day. He's actually on the show today. He wasn't on the show one day at a time. Yeah, he was. Remember they added the sun a little bit later? Wasn't it Gary Coleman? Wait a second. I don't think that was Gary Coleman. No, I don't think so. You guys don't remember that? No, you're thinking of the Brady Bunch.
And I was all over the cousin for crying out loud. You were ridiculous. I'm actually coming up a little later. What a nice girlfriend. It's good to see you. Yeah, we invited for you. Oh, thank you. You're welcome. I appreciate that. Absolutely. We're going to check in with Gary, as I mentioned in a second, just real quickly. I'm sure that everyone on the couch right now is thinking, so you've now diminished us to being in the Gary Coleman category? What is this? What are you doing to us here? Maybe he's there to sing his song Rehab. That could be what the deal is. He could be there to sing it. Which would be great. That could be it. I can really tell you we're interested. All of a sudden Rerun walks out. Thanks for coming. We don't know why you were here, but it was so good to see you. Hysterical. And by the way, Valerie's going to be back a little later on to talk about her new book. And now Tommy from Alice. Oh, my goodness. Hey, Gary, sing us something, will you? British girl named Amy Winehouse. Yeah, right. And then...
We here on the Mikey Show uncovered, there's no British girl. That's Gary Coleman. That's Arnold from different strokes. It's very obvious. Listen to the voice. Listen to this and try to tell me you don't picture Gary Coleman singing. And dancing. And dancing. I picture him wagging his finger. Yes, exactly. Like shaking his butt. Yeah, for some reason he's dressed like as a little railroad engineer or something, you know? The time. Willis and Mr. Drummond are doing like a Commodore's dance behind them. Choreographed. Nice. Choreographed. Where they're like doing their hips in unison. We uncovered that. All right. All right. You guys, we got some emails. You guys want to hear an email here? Sure. Tell me what you think about this. It says...
Hey, Mikey, I really enjoy your show and have enjoyed it even more now that you guys have gotten into the political arena. I'm glad that all sides are represented on your show. I like that you and Eddie are Republican and Sky and Sean represent Democrats. I was curious who you guys thought McCain may pick as his running mate or Obama for that matter. What are your thoughts now that Nader has thrown his hat in the ring? Anyway, keep up the interesting discussions. Thank you very much. That's signed P1 Abe Lincoln. And the deal with that, I was reading over this, and I was thinking to myself, this is a very interesting topic. Who do we think that McCain or Obama, should they be the nominees, would pick as their running mates? And I think it's probably, it's a better question for a professional psychologist. Today on Dr. Lee. Wow, I'm excited about you. You're going to talk. This is going to be a changing day. For goodness sake, young man. There ain't no mustache ticket. I don't know. No, there's not, but if there was, I'd run on it. That is for sure. Can I just say, let's get real here for just a minute. I'm not sure why we're talking to you, Dr. Phillips.
Makes sense. The reason that we're talking to me about it is because I know a little bit of everything about a little bit of everything. So, yes, I do. I do, Skye. And I'd like to make all of us, as we're listening to this question, Who would Obama pick? And who would... I'll pronounce Obama. And who would McCain pick? And I think that what we need to really start to do here is look at ourselves, get real. And I want to let you know how important this election is for me personally, all right? Oh, okay. I have been writing my congressman for years about this. And finally, there's a candidate that's going to take me seriously, all right? All right. Barack has told me in private that if elected, he will eradicate all of the desperate housewives from Earth. I don't believe that he said that. I don't know why you. I'm going to tell you something right now. Terry Hatcher creeps me out. Be gone with you, housewives. Be gone with you, housewives. Are you doing magic? I banish you to syndicate.
What? I'll punish you. What are you doing? Oh, man. Although, I have to say, Nicolette Sheridan and I once raised an alpaca together for a short time. That is odd. So she can stay, I guess. That's strange. Now, I'm glad this guy Honest Abe wrote in. Let me tell you something real quick. Wait, what? Did you tell him? I am ready to declare. myself for secretary of publicity all right now let me tell you what that is i will run on the platform of helping people that are clearly messed up and capitalizing on their illness no that's not bad thank you thank you i am the great mustachia I am also ready to tell you who I am endorsing. Are you all ready? This is a big announcement. I am Dr. Philip McGraw. Yes, you are. And my official endorsement goes to Jagger and Christy. Thank you very much. I appreciate you.
them. I think they make a wonderful team. They are not running. That's true. They are cute. It is so cute how they're married and on the radio together. They work together and then they go home and they live together. I can't even tell you what station it is. I don't know that they're even on anymore. It's a cute idea. Magic Eraser 92.1. It's a cute idea. That's weird. It just makes my heart melt. That's what you're endorsing. I am endorsing. Jagger and Christy. I'm Mustachio. I'm not a magician. Really dumb. So anyway, y'all, this whole political thing and how it's all been up. I was thinking this just the other day. I was a guest speaker at a Klan meeting, and I was thinking... So you're racist? Y'all, I'm just kidding. That's so funny. I wasn't a guest speaker. I've actually been a Grand Dragon for years. Dude. That makes sense. That makes sense. Oh, we're all... Yeah, you can't see that. Oh, for goodness sake, y'all. Why don't you tell me the... The microphone was on. It's on. The whole time it's been on. I am not Dr. Phil. I am the great mustache. You're not wearing your mask.
I am an Obama supporter, Eddie. No, really, I am. Let's get down to brass tacks. Let's get down to brass tacks. We were actually roommates at Harvard back in the day. He was interested in saving the world, and I was interested in stealing identities. But anyway, he and I would enjoy some marijuana, and we'd talk about things to come. Now, this was back in 1971, so, of course, we dreamt about things like Full House and the A-Team and things like that were in the future at the time, but we would dream about him. He's a very good candidate, and hopefully, fingers crossed, he'll bomb some Arabs or something like that. You know what I'm saying? You know how the old saying goes, bomb some Arabs, starve the cold, or whatever. I've heard it once in Mississippi. Now, let me tell you something. If you look at this email that this person wrote, they're talking about, let's talk about Obama. Let's talk about McCain. And my name is, what the hell does he say his name? Abe Lincoln. Whatever. Look at the big brain on Brad. Well, no. Why are you attacking him? I didn't realize the head of the GOP was a listener.
Look, Taft, let me tell you something. That's a direct insult. How about you come to us with something a little more interesting than blah, blah, blah, Hillary, blah, blah, blah, Great McCain, blah, blah, blah, here, here, here, Greg. All you are is just another compliment. I'm telling you, Eddie, it's just another super... suck-up who can't even wait to change his own diapers every time a member of the show comes on and starts talking about McCain this. He's going off on a tangent. He can't wait to change his own diapers? I don't know. Skye, let me tell you, I got news for this person that's listening, alright? The only one who still can't change himself around here is B-Rob. Well, it's because he has the little hand. He's too short. He just can't reach. I don't mind doing it. I care for the guy.
As dull as it may seem, y'all, let's take a moment to analyze who's going to win this race, all right? Oh, that's fun. Let's try this, all right? Now, we have a speech-stealing Sunday minister wannabe, all right? Then on the other side, we got ourselves a shrieking banshee whose voice could peel the gay right off Paris Hilton. Oh, that is true. Or we have a man's man who has served his country with honor and distinction in one of the most difficult conflicts of the American era. Hmm. Sounds like you're showing some bias. Take a math whiz to figure that one out there, Scott. I think Dr. Phil is showing a bit of bias. You're on board with McCain, right? McCain, right? Scott, aren't you? Because if you're not... You hate the troops and you want to gag them on their MREs in the middle of a... That's not true. That's not true. That's not true. You know what I'm saying. I don't know what you're saying. Listen, y'all might be registered Scientologists. I can tell. I can tell you don't register. But I'm going to tell you something right now. I started out as a liberal like we all did when we were young and stupid. Then, hang on a second. Wait a minute, Scott. Hang on. Before you get upset. Then I got a brain.
I became a Republican. And soon after, I met my wife, who was registered green. We had a one-night stand with the Green Party and realized that they're all deranged. And then... What are you talking about? I met a little actor that changed my life, and his name is Tom Cruise. Wait. Are you following me? No, not at all. Not really. I'm going to tell you right now, he's still an up-and-comer. Level self-auditing Thetan. Committed to neutralizing the alien body Thetan. Brought by Xenu. Brought by Xenu. Hang on, y'all. Do not let me out of this room. Do not let me out of this room. Enough. Thank you, Dr. Bell. Thank you. Thank you. Take care. Take care. Take care. Take care. You're being very clear. We're seeing some better-looking speeds in our freeways right now. The westbound 8, looking nice through La Mesa. Still backing up, as usual, in the right-hand lanes, approaching the 805 freeway as you make that right turn on to the 805. A few more brake lights in towards Hotel Circle. This 805 itself coming out of the South Bay is better looking here as well. But once you get up in the Kearney Mesa, it really packs up from the 163 up towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Also taking the 15 north off the 8th freeway, you've got some back up still through Murphy Canyon. A little farther north, though, a bad rollover accident and now cleared over to the right-hand shoulder has you seeing some heavy brake lights in towards Miramar Road. Heading south in the 15, looking nice out of Escondido. Just a brief delay now through Carmel Mountain Ranch.
This coaster ride on South Pine 5 still has struggled to go out of Lacadia down at the Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, check it out. It's the Mikey Show. Yo, you can have audio on that. Featuring Mikey. I love Mal. I don't care. We love it. Boys have met rules. Scott. I'm the most liberal person. Sean. Not true. He's big. Boss Farab. Very well behaved. Just eats his food. I'm just happy to have food. And Ashley. I will use an obscene amount of toilet paper. The Mikey Show is on. It's kind of like a stink lineup. Sure, yes. You know. Rock 105.3. Let's go through some news. I haven't done that. It is 841. A cruise ship returned to San Diego yesterday with more than 100 people sick with a gastrointestinal illness. I've got the chills and Detroit Lions release cornerback Fernando Bryant. You're making us nervous. Get off the cruise ship. Oh, no. Mike, the studio is like a boat right now.
All right, listen. Listen, I talked to P1 Quimby about this very thing yesterday, so we're going to put it out there as a possibility. We might take tomorrow off. There's a lot of sickies on the show. I'm just telling you. I know. I'm just telling you. Look at him. Is he dying? Well, I'm speechless now. Thank you. Thank you very much. And anyway, I was talking to Quimby about it, and Quimby goes, yeah, she goes, you know, the P1s, because they know you guys so good, they get worried when, like, Best of comes on for no apparent reason. So I want to put it out there that it may be a possibility. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. We're all laying in Eddie's bed with him tomorrow morning. You're flushed, and then you're white like a ghost, and then you're sweating, and then you're coughing. Don't say it, Ashley. Shut up. I don't want... And we got the race on Thursday, dude. You need some rest. Does every bone and muscle in your body hurt? He aches so much. He's lying. It's going to only get worse. You don't feel fine. You almost vomited. I'm inside you. Don't say that. I'd rather. I'd rather. So here's what we got. The Florida Marlins are looking for fat guys. Okay.
The Florida Marlins want as many fat men as they can get. Hey, Rob. They're doing some auditions. What? Ouch. I'm sorry. You're going to make him starve himself even more, Ash. It's already done. He's so obese. No, I get it. He'd be perfect for this. But whatever. To be correct, it's morbidly obese. That's right. It's debilitating, Ashley. You're now in his head. Anyway. Maybe we can go to fat camp together. All right. Thank you. You guys. When you go jogging, you leave potholes. Thank you. She does. Well, yes. The Florida Marlins are putting together a all-male plus-size cheerleading squad. Yeah, my flight leaves at two. That they are calling the Manta Tees. That's right. That's the medicine I need. And this team will perform Friday and Saturday at home games. That is so great. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true. That's what the Padres need. That's funny. That's right, man. The Oscar ratings were the worst ever. No way, really? History of Oscars. Yeah, I was really surprised. They say it was 14% lower than the record low. What do they know?
And 21% lower than last year's ratings. Wow. Well, nobody saw those movies. That is true. Those are all very small movies. Why do you want to watch it if you don't even know the movies? It should have been for Transformers. Oh, dude. Talk about it. Here is an interesting one. Paris Hilton's boyfriend is the brother of Nicole Richie's baby's daddy. I can't say husband because she's not married to the guy. It's just her boyfriend. Nicole Richie's boyfriend that she just had a baby with. Joel from Good Charlotte. Joel Madden. Paris Hilton's dating his brother. His twin brother. His twin brother's name is John Madden.
No, Benji. Benji Madden. Benji's a real lovable dog that used to be emotional. It's also Joel Madden's twin brother who until just a couple weeks ago was engaged to be married. There's Benji. Come here, Benji. Come here, Benji. Come here. You're so cute. Look at you. Why are you so thirsty? Benji is thirsty. Benji, don't drink that. That's gasoline. We just siphoned that out of someone's car. Don't drink that. I need that. No, don't drink that. We need to put that in Boston Rock's car. Don't drink it. Benji, don't light up that smoke now. Oh, no, Benji, don't light up that smoke now. Oh, no, Benji, don't light that smoke. Whatever you do, do not light that cigarette, Benji. Why is this happening? Oh, man, does somebody have a squeegee? Oh, this is disgusting. I got Benji all over me. I knew cigarettes would be the death of him. Mike, stop. It's too far. Mike, you got a little up here. It's right there. So, Benji Madden, who has now... There's a paw on your shoulder. Oh, great.
And why am I in the backseat cleaning up little bits of brain and cranium? You should be back here. You're the one that gave him the gasoline. Quit your complaining, man. Just clean that stuff up. Get all the little bits out of the ceiling. Oh, man, you just shot Benji in the face. So, Benji Madden has been dating Paris Hilton probably for the last week or so. He just broke off his engagement with his longtime girlfriend, fiancee, Sophie Monk. Now, Sophie Monk, I don't know if you ever saw the date movie. What the hell is going on? Oh, that's a parody, right? Yeah, the parody date movie. She was the beautiful blonde girl. And actually in that movie, she spoofs Paris Hilton's Carl's Jr. commercial. Come on, dude. When she's crawling on the car and eating the burger. He was engaged to her? He was engaged to her up until like less than a month ago. Benji! And now he's dating Paris Hilton. Benji. Yeah. The dog.
Benji, come on. Don't do that. Bad dog. Bad. Stay with your species. So, is there going to be a fourth Jason Bourne movie or not? Because I've never seen one of them. You're a horrible kid. I'm a bad person. Go home. They're great movies. That's what I've heard. Yes, there will be. Daily Variety is reporting that the studio has gotten... commitments from both Matt... Carlos Mencia. He's going to play Jason Bourne, which is really weird. Jesus Bourne. That's right. Jesus Bourne now. Has gotten commitments from both Matt Damon and the director, Paul Greengrass. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. So they're hoping for a late 09 release. Matt Damon. Okay. Enough. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. We got it. Matt. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Oh, my God. I mean, how long are we going to do this? Do it for another two hours. No, let's not. Let's try it. No. Matt Damon.
Matt Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Damon Madonna had jury duty yesterday. I can try. Madonna showed up for jury duty yesterday. Celebrities get jury duty too. And showed up.
Was there all morning. The Vista Courthouse, right? No, the Beverly Hills Courthouse. Madonna, what you doing at the courthouse? At the lunch break, changed her outfit like most jurors do. Came back in a different ensemble. Costume change? Yes. And then later in the day. Big cone boobs. Sorry. I'm hoping that Madonna will be a very good father for it. Was eventually dismissed from the case. She was too famous. Katie Holmes is bizarrely glowing about Tom Cruise in an interview with the UK Daily Mail. Yeah, kind of robotic in her answers. I love him. Yeah, I mean, everything is just, you know, straight out of like a... I don't know. He has intercourse with me. She says she's madly in love with the most wonderful human being ever. I am madly in love with the most wonderful human being ever. Card? Sometimes she says she feels like... Flip the card. Turn the card. It's upside down. Other way. Oh, there it is.
She says sometimes she feels like she's dreaming. I feel like I am dreaming. When asked who she'd want to be stuck in an elevator with, she answered Tom and Suri. Line? Not Pacey? No, no Pacey. She did not say Pacey? She did not mention Pacey, no. That sucks. Let's see. It really sucks. Yeah, I know. I'm sorry, Eddie. They were cute. Didn't that show end like 20 years ago? No. Yes, 20 years ago. Kirstie Alley is really upset at the Enquirer for saying that Jenny Craig fired her because she was fat. Are you fat? She's really mad. Welcome back. It is 8.59. Well, listen up, caffeine junkies. Today is the day that Starbucks will be closing for three hours starting at 5.30 for emergency retraining. Need my venti. Congress may recommend criminal action against Roger Clemens. I only just found this out this last weekend, but apparently Starbucks sells bags of half-caffeinated coffee. What? Yeah, half-calf. That's what I drink every day. Well, like, do you have to go in the store and, like, custom order it? Rob is laughing. I'm sorry. How could a man so dainty laugh at you? Exactly. I'm just saying. Thank you for the compliment. Oh, I appreciate that compliment, Sean. No, no, no. I'm interested. I'll bite. Now, Rob, what is funny? A mini-mini.
It's half-calf. If you got to do it, you got to do it. Well, if I drink it fully caffeinated, what is he doing? He's basically calling you like metro, like effeminate. Because I say half-calf. Because you're doing the half-calf. Instead of saying, I get a half-decaffeinated coffee. So he's comparing you to a female. I get what you're saying. I think it's adorable. Adorable. So rude. If I drink the whole venti, if I drink a whole venti coffee, regular caffeinated. Sure. It makes my little heart beat like a little bunny rabbit. Yeah, that's right. It goes real fast. Like a little hummingbird. Like a little hummingbird. That's exactly it, you know? It's endearing. And so, you know, I got to put the half-calf in there and pour it in nice and slow. So are you saying that you can go in and, like, they put together a bag like that for it or it's already on the shelf? The bag is on the shelf and it's called half-decaffeinated. In your face, Sky. I didn't know. I don't know why that's in my face. Well, because you were being abusive towards it. I was not. I was asking a question. Sky was trying to hurt me. I enjoy that. I enjoy the half cap. I support it. And enjoy it. Thank you. So anyway, you can get it. It's good. Get it while the getting's good. You know what we should do? Oh, we can't do that. It's not up there. How do you know? Oh, I'm looking for it. I don't see it. Unless it's somewhere I just don't know where it is.
That could be, too. Well, maybe I replaced it accidentally. Are we fighting? I wonder where you would put it, you know, on purpose. I wonder where purposefully you would put it back. That's what I wonder. I'm not fighting! I'm not fighting you either. It's just that... It sounds like you're trying to fight me. No, no, no. It's just the tone of voice when you said on accident that I didn't understand. Accidents, I can understand. What wasn't an accident was the tonality that she was taking. But the tone is all in your ears, maybe. About that. How about that? Oh, it's in your ears. Eddie just looked at me and gave me, well, she's got a point there, except for... Thank you, Eddie. Definitely tonality in your ear. Yep. Still not up, but... Maybe it is that. Maybe it is that. Maybe it is that. Maybe it is that. Hey, guys. Hey, guys. Do you know who's a germaphobe? Or who's got nothing to say? Just don't make you think you're in the know. That was Eddie. You did come to the studio. I'm with a SARS. I'm with a SARS. You do, too. I'm making that up. Doing the afflux show. Leave me alone. Eddie, you're the host. I'm not the host. You are. First of all, you're the host. Oh, wait. That is right.
Is the carrier. She's a carrier. Why are you yelling at me? I stayed home. Did I not? That's right. You're a host monkey. What? We need a guy and a girl. 570-1053. What you'll win is you'll get to come into the studio. You'll win the time of your life. Yeah, it's pretty fun. You get a backstage pass that's laminated that you wear around your neck. It's really cool. And this week we'll include free SARS from Eddie. I don't have SARS. That's right. So what we need you to do is call us right now. 570-1053. We need a guy. Eddie, wake up. And a girl. It's easy. It's easy. I heard it's easy, Eddie. I did too. It's easy. It's easy. So a guy and a girl that can come into the studio on Friday. So don't even call us to play P1 Trivia unless you can come in here on Friday. Yeah. If you can't, there's no reason for you to even call.
We need a guy, and we need a girl. It's that simple. And what you're going to do is we're going to give you questions. You've got to get to five points. First person to five points wins. You've got to either pick a one, two, or three-point question. Ones are easy. Threes are hard. My voice is so low with this cold. Thank you. P1, I want to hold your ham is on the line. Oh, really? Hello, I want to hold your ham. How are you doing? Good. How old are you? I'm 21 years old. How long have you been listening to The Mikey Show? About two, two and a half years. Not good. It's so odd that I go by the name Mikey. Did something shiny just run by you? Well, what happens is when I answered the phone there, when I answered the phone there, I said, how long have you been listening to The Mikey Show? And I thought, boy, if I was hearing this for the first time, I'd go, really? That's what this is called?
The Mikey Show? Okay, well, hang on the line. We're still trying to find a female that can come in here on Friday. Come on, ladies. So give us a call, ladies, if you've been listening to this show for any length of time. And you can call us right now. 570-1053. You've got to be available to come in the studio on Friday and hang out with the Mikey Show live and in person. Easy. It's easy. It's really a neat experience. Basically, what you will take away with it is that you had Seth walk you to the bathroom occasionally. Well, Seth. So, I believe we have P1 Gabby on the line. Hello, Gabby. Hello. Gabby, how old are you? 28. 28 years of age. How long have you been listening to The Mikey Show? Okay, so in all honesty, I've been listening to you guys for... Almost eight months, but my husband kept me. He's like a diehard P1. Okay. And he kept me up on everything. So it's like I know you guys, but now I've been listening. Now I'm sad when there's a replay or whatever. Okay. All right. Well, if you've been listening for eight months, you might get some of these. The rest of them, I don't know. We're going to have to fill in the blanks with you. We'll try. Good luck. Thank you. Remember that the first person to five points is the winner. Skye, who went first last time? Was it the guys or the girls? It was the girls. I see.
So that means that you're going to start this time. P1, I want to hold your ham. All right. Would you like a one, two, or three-point question? Let's start with a two. Two. Who would come into the studio this football season to make picks against Eddie? Let's see. Picks against Eddie. Eddie's already annoyed. Dang it. Clearly don't care. I think he cares. I think he's trying to find it up there. He clearly doesn't. Three seconds. I care and I'm trying to find it. Let's see. Picks against Eddie. Sorry, bro. It's the Charger Girls. Oh, my goodness. The Charger Girls came in here. You did not know that. I'm so sorry. P1 Gabby. What do you want? A one, two, or three pointer? Give me a two. You got it. What is the name of our program director? Shauna. That is correct. Well done. Eight months versus two and a half years.
Not bad. All right. P1, I want to hold your ham. Redeem yourself. Let's go with another two. Another two? Yeah. Before Boston Rob, who held the title Stunt Boy? Who held the title Stunt Boy? I'm going to say... Daddy? Are you sure you've been listening for two and a half years? These are like the most random questions, but... If he's been only listening for two and a half years, then I don't blame him. I don't know if he would necessarily know that question. Well, but he would know it wasn't Eddie. Well, yeah, for sure. Well, yeah, there was... I don't know. There was Boy Blunder. Oh, okay. You ever hear of that guy? It was Boy Blunder. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The fat guy, right? P1 Gabby. Yes. Rude. You could either go for a knockout punch with a three...
Or you can play it a little bit safer. I'm going to play it a little safe. All right. I will get a two. You got it. Who on the show recently got a dog? Oh, Ashley. That is correct. Wow. What the hell is your problem? I don't know. You're all jackals. Freaking stop it. P1, I want to hold your ham. Let's go with the two again. Freaking stop it. Freaking stop. Sean, why are you attacking me? P1, I want to hold your ham. Your question is, who on the show has an alter ego named Savannah? Oh, five minutes. He's been listening five minutes to the Mikey Show. I believe five minutes. Bro. Dude. Wait, Savannah? Yes. Eddie. I'm going to go with Scott. That's a good guess. You're right. You got two points I want to hold your ham. Totally did just guess, though. I actually knew that last one.
All right. Yeah, no, no, no. We can hear it in your voice and especially how quickly you answered. Yeah. P1 Gabby, you need only one point to win. Okay. Well, yeah, you can only go one point. Yes, please. Your one-point question is... This seems too easy. I can't... Well, it's one point. It's one point. It seems too easy. It's supposed to be easy. Why are you... Well, because it's... Okay. Just do it. Hey, SARS. What is the name of the game where you have to guess what song Ashley is singing? Oh, Tone Death Karaoke. You got it. You got it. It's too easy. It's too easy.
That's not even the question that I was originally going to ask. It was too easy. In fact, the answer of the question was she's already, like, experienced. Do you know what it was? What? The question was, what is B-Rob's job duties? And I'm like, well, how can I answer that or how can I ask her that if she experienced his job duties just calling into the show? Do you get what I'm saying? How could I ask that? So did I win? Yes, she did. Hang on the line, Gabby. You're a good person. Sorry about that. I want to hold your ham. Cool. All right, man. So, are you one of those sports fans? You know, the kind who actually know how many yards Reggie Bush ran his senior year of high school. Or how many three-pointers Aztec Lorenzo Wade tallied up last year. If you're one of those, then Post Game on 4 San Diego is the sports program you can't afford to miss.
So, was Ozzie Smith the best defensive shortstop of all time? And is Joey Chestnut really the hot dog eating champion? If these questions evoke strong feelings, remember post-game 10 p.m. on 4 San Diego if you're truly, truly one of those. Time. George, today's your lucky day. You're the Prize Squad's lucky $10 million winner. Smile for the camera. Woo! I've been waiting a long time for this. So, George, what are you going to do with your $10 million? Yeah, yeah, can you guys move aside and make way for the Subway sandwiches? Subway sandwiches? What Subway sandwiches? Excuse me, excuse me. Look out, please. Subway sandwiches coming through. But, George, George, what about your $10 million price check? Not now, guys. It's time for lunch. So what are we going to do now? People can't wait to get their hands on a Subway tuna sandwich. And now you can enjoy it in a whole new way. Try it hot and fresh toasted with melted cheese for a delicious tuna melt. Pick up your tuna or tuna melt today. George, hello. We're not leaving until you accept the check. Not until I finish my Subway sandwich. George.
Hello? Subway, eat fresh for a limited time only at participating restaurants. In the spirit of value and adventure, we at BevMo are excited to offer you our top 10 wines for under $10. Simultaneously, we're also offering our top 10 wines under $20 as well as our top 10 wines under $30. Now, this may be confusing, so listen carefully. Our top 10 wines under $30 do not include our wines under $20 and $10, even though both 10 and 20 are less than 30. So, to be more precise, we at BevMo are offering top 10 wines under $10, top 10 wines under $20, but more than $10, and top 10 wines under $30, but not under $20, and certainly not under $10. So, what we really should have called this promotion was... BevMo's top 30 great wines under $30, a third of which are under $20 but more than $10, and an equal amount being under $10. We apologize for any confusion, and we sincerely hope this clears things up. Come in today, and don't miss BevMo's top 10 wines event going on now. We'll be right back. Heading south of the 15 out of Escondido. That's a great-looking ride now down the stretch. And the westbound 52 is also seeing some heavy traffic underneath the 805 through San Clemente Canyon toward the 5 Freeway. Don Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. It is 918. The La Mesa City Council is going to be holding a public discussion over their mayor allegedly being drunk in public. Tennessee is the new number one team in college basketball for the first time in school history. Seth, I'm going to send you this. We could have this person come in for a Friday, okay? Okay. Zed. If they're interested. Well, Seth. Hi, Seth. I just want to let you know our blogs are up, too, if you want to read our thoughts, what we're thinking about. Go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and type in the keyword blogs right there where it says keyword. Hit enter, it'll take you right to it. You can read all of our blogs. I apologize for mine today. It's ridiculous. Okay, that makes me curious. Don't read it. It's stupid. It's hilarious. Read it to the class. I laughed out loud. It's stupid. Don't read it to the class. I'm going to read it out loud to the class. I've gone to MikeyShow.com. Yeah.
I'm kicking on... Keyword blogs. All right, here's Eddie's blog today. It says, I've decided I hate all our furniture. All of it. I've had the same bed for close to 15 years. Is that right, Eddie? Where did you get it? When did you get it? I got it in like 95, 96. And it's in great shape. I've kept good care of it in my travels. But I hate it now. All the furniture, me and... There we go. Now I can see. I was squinting for crying out loud. It says, all the furniture me and my wife have in our living room, hate. Done. The couch especially. I want to punch it in the face. If the couch had a face, I'd box it right in the nose. I hate my TVs.
I'm one of the only people I know that hasn't got a flat panel TV yet. The reason, you ask? I've been waiting until we get a house to buy all new stuff, including a TV. I feel like an ancient pharaoh or something not having an HDTV. It really bothers me. We'll be looking at a new house in the coming months, and let me tell you, I can't wait. I want to throw all my old furniture in the dumpster. Ooh, I'll be there that day. Says I won't because it's in good shape, but I want to. I hate how nothing matches. I watch shows sometimes on HGTV and I marvel at how their rooms all flow. They make sense. Ours looks like a mishmash of stuff thrown together. So no style whatsoever. I'm sure Zeth or Rob will love this furniture when I give it to them. But for me, I want to put my furniture in a triangle choke and not let go. It deserves it.
Don't feel bad for my furniture. It's been asking for it for a while now. I'm going to give it a nice once over. Take that kitchen table. Take that kitchen table, pow! Oh, you want a piece of me too, random side table? Random side table. Oh, really? How about you, TV stand? I hate you! That's Eddie's blog from today. Yes, I read it like an audio book. You did a good job. I was trying to be the audio book reader. Good inflections. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Let's see what Sky's thinking today. No, it's about landscaping. I already know. No, it's not. It has to be. It's all you blog about. What else? What's going on, dude? Sky says, what's up with Big Brother after dark on Showtime? You don't have to read it like that. Yes, you do. If you don't watch Big Brother, then I'm not going to waste my time and you should stop reading now. I have some issues.
So, first I believe. So, first I believe. Perfect. They need to tape delay BBAD. I hate that it's live. But then the episodes on CBS are a few days behind. Lame. Now, let's talk about these crazy people embarrassing themselves on national television. They know that BBAD is on every night from 9 to midnight. If they want to have a party and act like strippers... then maybe they should do it before nine or after midnight. Maybe that way their parents won't be mortified to see their baby daughter running around naked and rubbing her junk on everything. This is the first season that I have had Showtime and been able to watch BBAD. Every time I watch it, I tell myself that I don't want to watch it anymore. It's like a car accident, you see. It's on the side of the road. I can't help myself. I need help. And those are my thoughts. Very abrupt. Let's see what Ashley's thinking. No, dude. You do not want to do that. You do not want to do that. I'm not going to read the whole thing because I can already tell it's too long. She writes like she talks. Stream of consciousness. Dude, it is crazy reading her blog. It's so hard to spell check it too.
Do you have to spell check it? Dude, don't spell check it. I spell check it. I spell check it. I spell checked mine this morning. What are you talking about? Don't spell check. Don't spell check. Why are we yelling? Well, because he's trying to imply that I'm like stupid and I'm not. No, I'm not. He just said it. What did you just say? No, it's because he said you... May I read your blog? May I read your blog? Uh-oh. May I read your blog, Ash? Look at her. Like, she's going to kill him. Ash, may I read your blog? I don't... Okay. Uh-oh. I talked to the sis yesterday. Oh, no. Finally messed up the courage to call her after yoga. Well, if it's so personal, why is it on the internet? Well, it's like a personal blog. Why is it on the worldwide web? Well, I'm just saying it's like not a joke. He blogs. Mike. Sorry, I was trying to give her some air time. You were going to gloss right over her vlog. I'm trying to find one that might be funny. Two B-Rob's is good. It's not. I love B-Rob. Just in general. You love B-Rob. Just as a statement. Yes. That's nice. That's nice of you. I don't understand award shows. Yes. I mean, I get it, but I don't really care.
Secondly, red carpet this, you clown. I couldn't watch any red carpet show if I was getting paid by the hour at my house. Yes, you could. Yeah, yeah. Lies. I understand that it's all these famous actors and actresses and huge celebrities, but I really don't care what other people believe the best movie is. Because for the most part... I will probably think that movie sucks. Okay, so no Country for All Men I'll probably like and watch, but do you really think I care about who did the costume design for the movie Elizabeth the Golden Age? So 90% of award shows couldn't keep me interested if they made the show...
The show shirts and skins with hot broads always skins. You're an idiot. Well, maybe I'd watch if they did the shirts and the skins thing. But my main point is I don't care about people getting awards. Especially when they tank a bunch of people I have no idea who they're talking about. I do like when they tank their family and God, but when they rattle off these big wig names. You might as well speak Swahili because no one's listening. That is Rob's block. Terrific. I love Rob. It's not meant to be funny. Sorry. Why are you attacking me? Geez. You guys want to hear Zeth's? Yeah. Oh, no, I can't understand it. I can't hear it. What do you say? Oh, no. Someone get a translator. You're mumbling, Zad. I can't. Hmm. Yeah, I don't understand it. Well, I mean, even in his vlogs? You can read it online if you want. Okay. It's probably your best. All right. Actually, it's not that bad today. Zad says, I recently discovered the glory. Because most days it's horrible. Thanks, Mike.
I recently, it's actually, no, his is good. He, you do have good blogs. You do. Shana told me yesterday that zest are her favorite. Yeah. Really? He's got good blogs. And I slapped her. Okay. He says, I recently discovered the glory of this equal in my coffee. I used to be a sweet and low guy. Oh. But we didn't have any in the cafeteria last week and my eyes were open to the greatness. It blends with the coffee so much better instead of chilling at the bottom, not helping anybody. I was texting back and forth with someone yesterday, and I was somewhat time sensitive. I fell asleep for an hour. I woke up a few, so what do you think type texts later, and whoops, my Charlie Brownness defines me. What did that end for? Come on. What are you really right? I'm so lost right now. What are you really right? Seth, what does that mean? No, I... but fell asleep, and it was like, kind of, while you were blogging? No, no, no, while I was texting. And Sean's blogging. I love Sean's blogging. Well, there's nothing to read. I love Sean. You see that? That's just pictures, yeah. He didn't tell us anything. Sean, why don't you blog? I do. You put pictures. I put pictures and stories and videos and
You got my friend of the day every day. But we want to know about you. I want to know about you. You put some awesome pictures, though. I do want to know about Shawnee. That roly-poly Asian kid is awesome. I go to work. I go home. I fall asleep. I go back to work. Come on. You have thoughts. I don't have a life. Yeah, you do. Come on. You're funny. I want to see what you have. All right. We'll see. Start. We'll see. Really good pictures, though. did you know that in the month of January, home foreclosures were through the roof? Make it stop. I know it, man. We're in a weird time. And I said this the other day to some friends of ours. I go, I think that in about 15 years, we're going to look back on like 07, 08, 09 as like the worst, weirdest time. I said, the thing that's kind of cool about it is that at least we know that The market goes up and down and up. So at least it's going to be good in the future. But right now, it blows, man. Yeah, it's great if you're looking to buy a home right now. But if you have a home to sell or if you currently own a home, not so much. Yeah, stay in it. Yeah, they say the number of homes facing foreclosure jumped 57% in January. And it's not over yet. No, they say nationwide about 230.
1,000 homes have received at least one notice of overdue payments. They say the U.S. foreclosure rate last month was one filing for every 534 homes. Oh, wow. Yeah. Some of the top three places for foreclosures right now, number one is Cape Coral. Poway, Mira Mesa, Mission Valley, Del Mar, Carlsbad. Oceanside, Vista, Golden Hills, Chula Vista, El Cajon, La Mesa. Yeah, number one is in Florida. Number two is Stockton, California. And number three is the Riverside San Bernardino metro area. Stockton, I own property. You do? Right on that delta. And then there's this other study that says 10% of mortgages are higher than the value of the home. Oh, that's so brutal. Yeah, that's for people who probably bought a home within, I don't know, maybe like the last five years. I didn't. I bought mine 12 years ago. Well, that's not true, Mike. Yeah, Skye bought hers eight years ago, too. No, they say that 10% of mortgages... Skye, we're in the clear, me and you. The opposite. They say 10% of mortgages... Skye lives in the Whaley house.
10% of mortgages are higher than what the house is. I heard she was the house of pancakes. The house is actually weird. That's an international house, Mike. I'm in pancakes. I like ham. Ham house. Rob. What? Not ham. She's at the hash house. A go-go. All right. Great. Fine. Ham. Got it. Tenacious D is going to do a new album. What? Yeah. What? Uh-oh. They're the best. Yeah, well, Jack Black says as of now, they only have one song. Which is good. It's called Death Star. Yes. And he hopes that George Lucas won't sue them for it. But he says the album could be out any time between now and 2019. You rocked my life. You rocked my life. Marry me, please, Jack Black. You guys want to hear a tribute? Yes. Yeah, dude. So good. Kyle Gass on guitar. I thought it was Mr. Craig Gass. No. This is the greatest and best song in the world. This will make you feel better, Eddie. It's a tribute, though. Me and my brother Kyle here, who was hitchhiking down on some road. But sudden, there shined a shiny demon. The best song. It's yourself. The show's not even...
And they're being done. As a matter of fact, when we come back, then we come back. Mikey Show. That's the ultimate hang zone. Hey, it's Mikey for Amco. Well, first of all, the experience. The experience in the database.
They hook up with all these other AMCOs with guys that know exactly what problems are going on. Let's get real here for just a minute. I'm not sure why we're talking to you, Dr. Phillips. The reason that we're talking to me about it is because I know a little bit of everything about a little bit of everything. Barack has told me in private that if elected, he will eradicate all of the desperate housewives from Earth. I don't believe that he said that. Be gone with you, housewives. Be gone with you. Although, I have to say, Nicolette Sheridan and I once raised an alpaca together for a short time. So she can stay, I guess. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Hold my jacket. My jacket. Why do you have my jacket? You told her to hold it for you. Who's Skye? We know the guy singing that song. I love Skye. They don't sing them like that anymore. They don't. Hey, listen, you get older, the guy still rocks the house, doesn't he? Oh, he's so cool. That's right. He does a concert. Guy's still good. He loves it. He's pretty good. You gotta hand him that. He's pretty good. He's a heck of a nice guy. Welcome back to the show. What are we doing? Oh, I got stuff to tell you. New releases. It's a thing, man. Well, I got some stuff to tell you, then we'll do the new releases. New releases. Let's talk about how Charlie Sheen's mad at Ryan Seacrest.
Well, who isn't, Mike? That's right. Great feud. Well, he's mad because... Celebrity boxing. That's right. Can you imagine those two boxing? Oh, yeah. Eddie's just taking a nap. Don't mind him. What are you doing, Eddie? Don't mind him. He's on the show. He's like lying down. He doesn't feel very good. What's wrong? He doesn't feel good. I'm still here. Delivering great comic material. That's right. Come on, give it up. You rocked my life. Thank you. Finally. Marry me, please. So anyway, yeah, he's upset because Seacrest is producing that TV show that Sheen's ex-wife is going to be on. Yeah, it's a reality show and Seacrest is the executive producer and Charlie even went to the courts asking the courts not to allow Denise Richards to put their daughters in the reality show. But the judge says, no, I'm sorry. You know, she does have the right to do that if she wants on her time. So according to sources, Sheen called Seacrest to like beg him to not go to production with the show. And Ryan told him, dude, it's, you know, business. It's not personal. And then that's when Sheen.
freaked out and started saying, how can you allow my children to be used as pawns just so you and Denise can make money off of them? You caused 9-11? Yep. That's what he said. I'm finding my child! I'm finding my boy! I'm finding my boy! My child! My child! My boy! Brandon Seacrest! Daughters. He only has daughters. The Eddie line is ringing. I don't know if Eddie's up to it. No, I'd love to answer it. Hello? Hello there, Eddie. This is Daniel Plainview again. This is Daniel Plainview. What's up with you, guy? Yes, yes, I'm calling, and this is my son, H.W. Oh, hello, H.W. Now, I'm calling to make a very special offer to you, Eddie. What's that? No, I do not accept. Wait a second. No, no, no. Wait a second. No, Plainview. This is what I'm going to do. What? I'm going to take a $20 bill and roll it out. No, I don't want to hear this. Hear him out. Hear him out. All the way across my land and into yours. And then my cocaine will snort your cocaine. No, that doesn't make sense. It's all just a joke. I'm calling to offer you...
My Yoda the hot poster now. You said Yoda the hot poster right now. You're a jerk. Get out of here, Plainview. You're crazy. I don't like that guy. He's kind of scary. That was weird. That was Daniel Plainview. He's an idiot. I've abandoned my boy. I abandoned my child. I've abandoned my child. Guy's really upset about that child. There's vein popping out. That's right. Okay. Then, real quickly, these are two weird stories back-to-back about stabbings. Now, one guy is right here in Linda Vista. He stabs a guy that's in the bathroom too long at his house. Guy's in the bathroom too long, he stabs a guy. There's a big alcohol. There's a big alcohol. Yeah, this all went down about 7.30 last night, like Mike said, in the Linda Vista area. Get out of my bathroom. It's taking so long. Hurry up, dude. Get out of the bathroom, bro. Pinch it off. Hurry up! Can you get out of the bathroom, bro? I gotta go, dude. I'm still in here.
Who is it? It's my house. Who is it? I don't know. I'm busy. I have to make a number one. I know. I'm doing the other thing. I'm almost done with the article. I'm going to stab you. You don't have anything to stab me with. Somebody's at the door. Let me open it. She had me. So strange. That's how it went down. It's actual audio. Yeah, that's true. The 18-year-old man was stabbed five times in the stomach. He was taken to the hospital and expected to survive. Now, then, out in Texas, this guy stabs his brother-in-law. The night of the last Clinton-Obama debate in Texas. Now they're debating in Texas. And they're fighting over one likes Clinton, one likes Obama. So he stabs him.
Yeah, they're watching the debate, and the dude who was in support of Obama was like, dude. In Texas, right? No, it was actually in Pennsylvania, but the debate was in Texas. Oh, okay, I got you. Yeah, they were watching the debate that was happening in Texas. So the Obama supporter was like, dude, Obama's killing Hillary right now. And then the Hillary supporter was like, Obama isn't a realist. And then they started fighting, and then the Obama supporter stabbed the Hillary supporter, who was taken to the... Sounds familiar. Oh! That's right. That's what my problem was. Oh, really? Yeah. What election were you fighting over? 1993. Yeah? Who was running then? Uh-oh. No. Uh-oh. Me. OJ. I'm guilty. Oh, thank you. Finally admit it. Sky has new releases that are out today. Oh, I do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I do, I do, I do. Michael Clayton. Clayton. That movie is so good. That was last weekend. Or last week. Eddie. Okay, new... What? You sound awesome. Shut up. New video games out today. Frontline's Fuel of War for Xbox 360. Anyone? No. I don't like that one. You're out on that one? No, I can't play it. Oh, you get all sick. Makes me sick. Yeah, the motion sickness. Motion sickness.
Mioshin. Mioshin. Well said. The Mioshin of the ocean. Also out today, Lost via Dumas. Oh, that one's going to be fun. For Xbox 360 and the PS3. Like the show? Can I get it? Yeah, it's based on the TV show featuring characters struggling to survive on a seemingly deserted Pacific island. That sounds super sick. Somebody get it for me. It's really sick. Okay. I'll get it for you. Yeah, your birthday's still coming up. It'll be your sick present. No, Scott, you need me to get him a sick present. Yeah. He just burst up. He's like, yeah. That would be great. All right, you're in charge of that, Ash. Rob, you're in charge of that. Turning Point, Fall of Liberty for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Lost Planet Extreme Conditions for PS3. Sega Bass Fishing for Wii.
You want to go fast fishing with your Wii? There you go. Destroy All Humans, Big Willie Unleashed for the Wii. Skye. That's the name of the game. It's not Safe Harbor. Okay. And then finally, Agatha Christie and then There Were None for the Wii. Wii. All right. New music out today. New CDs. Yeah. What do you got, Skye? Janet Jackson has a new album coming out today called Discipline. All right. Here's a song from it called Feedback. It all sounds the same to me now. It really does. It all sounds the same to me. Like, if we said that that was new from Lindsay Lohan, we'd all be making fun of it and saying how terrible it is. True. Also out today, Dolly Parton with Backwoods Barbie. I really love Dolly. That's up today. Did you know that she's having back surgery? For real? Yeah, I heard she's been having some serious problems lately. It's because her breasts. Yes, they are large. It is because of the breasts. They are too large. Yes, and they hurt the back. That's right. Oh, Dolly. Sing Here You Come Again. I really like that song. Sing Here You Come Again. Yeah! Come to get myself together. You walk right in the door. Just like you've done before.
That's in 9 to 5. That's what I'm about to make. Sing 9 to 5, Dolly. Oh, there you go. Oh, yeah. Dabney Coleman. How do you know the words? It's like Grants in Missouri. Oh, I loved that movie when I was a kid, man. That was a great movie. That was a naughty movie. You should be watching that. That was rated R. Was it really? Rated R. Why was that rated R? Because there was bad language, sexual situations. Yeah, yeah. I saw that movie with a truck driver. That's normal. You can't lie. I saw that movie with a truck driver that was a friend of my parents.
Now, it turned out he was a nice guy. I mean, anything could have happened. We went to the movies together and we saw 9 to 5. That's not true. I'm telling you, it was the truth. And then they loaded me onto this guy's semi-truck and sent me from Yuma, Arizona to Gilroy. It's like a 20-hour trip. How did they know this truck driver? They knew him. I guess they met him on a CB or something. I don't know how they know, but he was a family friend. And I really liked him. He was a nice guy. We went to see 9 to 5 together. He didn't molest me or anything. And then we went together. You guys just did it together? Like what? No, he was actually a really nice guy. He was a very nice person. But yeah, I got to ride in a semi truck from Yuma, Arizona to Gilroy. And that's what I remember. We saw 9 to 5. Wow. That's right. That is normal. Yeah. I mean, didn't everybody do that? Yeah, for sure. You guys did that, right? That's how you guys saw 9 to 5? Not so much. All right, so, quick timeout, come back and tell you about how I saw Kramer vs. Kramer. Thank you. Don't fall into her trap. I don't want to fall into the trap. She gets off on it. She does. She does. She said in her blog that she looks for confrontation. Really? Yes, yes, yes. Where were you, Ash? Where were you? Where'd you go? Damn. Where did you go? I want to get some coffee. All right. Well, we've been back on the radio. For how long? Like at least 30 seconds. Maybe longer.
Did you miss me? Yes, obviously. That's what I was just telling the listeners is how much I miss you. I apologize. K-I-O-Z, San Diego. McGain. Oh, are you still in the middle of... Oh, yeah, we're halfway through the CDs. What do you got? So the rest of the CDs, we have Gold Frap with Seventh Tree. We can't make up names of bands and stuff. I got Mocha Frap over here. Okay, we have Erykah Badu with New America, part one. What? Erykah Badu. Oh, I love Erykah Badu. Badu. The music's really good. Have you guys ever heard it? Of course. Yeah, it's like transcendental. Nice singles up there for you. Yeah, I know. I've been playing it all morning long. Badu-badu. Yeah, there she is. Erykah Badu-badu. Here, let me play you some Erykah. It's in red, right? In pink.
Oh, wait a minute. Here we go. Oh, no. That's great. Somebody works hard getting those clips for you. Like, so hard. And he just glossed right over the gold crap. Sorry about that, Ash. That's really good. I don't know what's better, the song or the clip. I'm a jerk. I'm trying to be cool. Don't drag Glunder into this. Leave the poor kid alone. No, don't fist bump him, Fish. Okay, and finally for the CDs, we have a death angel with... Yeah, I said it. What? He doesn't have headphones on. Why are you attacking my friend? Leave me alone. I'm not. I'm not. He's a misogynist. That was his hot button. Well, he's a missile guy. She touched on the hot button. Did she talk about me eating? Yeah, she was. I don't have it, Fish. She really...
Wait, first Death Angel. That's really good. Death Angel. That's good. Hang on a second. I missed the gold frap. Let me play a second of gold frap. That's really good. That was a good clip. I don't have time to play you the whole 20 seconds of the clip, but it was... That's okay. It wasn't my favorite clip. Forget it. I think there could have been a better part. Forget all of it. I think that gave us an idea of what it sounds like. For sure. Eight for effort is all I really care about. Definitely. Definitely. All right. New DVDs out today. What do you got? What do we got? Beowulf, everyone. Beowulf out on... Can I have that? For your sick present? Sure, Eddie. Anything for you. I love you. You want to hear a clip of Beowulf? I would love to. I am Beowulf. Cut 30. Such a strong man. Yes, marry me, please. What do you know of me? I know that underneath your glamour... You're as much a monster as my son, Grendel. Oh, man. That's good. I liked it. I liked it. It was good? Yeah, it was good. All right. Also out today on DVD, 30 Days of Night. Yeah, dude. Talk about it. Sean, you said you didn't like that movie. I never said anything of a kind. Yeah, you did. I did not. All right, cut 30. They're both listening. It's the same movie. It's the same movie. Two ways, one, dear.
Frozen. What I want to eat. What I want to drink. That's enough, pal. Leave the lady be. You're too good looking to be scary. You can't put real good-looking people in scary movies. No, they're too handsome. What about Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street? But he was the victim. Josh Hartnett's not the bad guy. But I think you made a point, Eddie. I think he was too good-looking for that part to be scary. All the parts he was in, you know you were just dreaming about those brown eyes. Well, that is true. Okay, also out today we have... The Darjeeling Limited. Sounds good. Wes Anderson. Here's a clip from it. Not bad. That is excellent. Sounds pretty good. That's Dr. Goldfish. Okay, also out today we have the collector's edition of The Last Emperor. It's a four-disc set. Everybody's been waiting for. I know, we've been on the edge of our seats waiting for that one. Okay, TV shows to DVD. Here you go, Shawnee, oh boy.
Come on. Newhart, the complete first season. Nice. Yeah. Now, is this the one when he's an innkeeper, Sean? No. The other one? It's the other one? Oh, wait. Newhart is. No, Newhart is the innkeeper, not the Bob Newhart. Bob Newhart show is the one where he's a psychologist. Mm-hmm. He's with Suzanne Plachette. Yeah. Yeah, it was great when we worked together. I'm working with Bob. Extras, the extra special series finale out on DVD. Fish is the only one. Fish is the only one. So inside Hollywood, yes. Extras, it's Ricky Drew. Of course it's Ricky Drew. You know, from The Office. The BBC version. The BBC, because they do it better. We get it, Dennis Miller. You got all the references. I'm telling you, you mock this now. You guys watch this, you'll love it. No question. It's a terrible show. Oh, well, then it is good. You're right. Must be really smart then. Stupid. Because Sean will be like stupid junk. Shut up, Eddie. Nobody asked you. Everybody asked me. Go back to your SARS. I don't have SARS. You do have SARS. I'm going to send you a Kleenex in the mail. Shut your mouth. I'll burn it. Okay. We also have Punky Brewster season four. Oh, nice. Everybody's been waiting for that. I love season four. Wow.
Not bad. They were hardcore in season four. They were really good. That's when Punky, you know, got into the occult. Why are you laughing at the loud fish? And her dog, Brandon. Why is that? Ashley going after Fish. Why is she attacking Fish? What did he do? What did Fish do? I'm like way off the mic back here. He's really laughing hard at that one. You know he's a misogynist, right? He'll really go after me. A lot of people should appreciate the hard work. Welcome to our world. Every day we get this. What is your deal? All I was doing was laughing at the punky punky. I'm just a fighter, dude. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What is this? No, I'm going to be the better person. That's it. That's worse than that bear attack. I'd start blowing that rape whistle if you got it. We had pots and pans. We would ward her off. There you go. Get away from me, Ashley Bear. Don't hurt me. Don't have any more peanut butter.
Also on DVD, we have WWE Royal Rumble 2008. My son Double B. That's right. Finally, we have NFL Super Bowl. I've abandoned my blunder! I've abandoned my wiser! The Super Bowl, New York Giants championship. Send Rob a copy. All right, enjoy. Well, I think we've gotten all the good stuff. Oh, I just found a page of 40 stories. I've abandoned my show. I've abandoned my time. You know what we should do for 20 minutes? What, Mike? Matt Damon. Oh, I'm okay with that, actually. Matt Damon.
Now check this out. I actually, Sky told me this story and I thought to myself, we could literally sit for six hours and name people and nobody would come up with this name. FHM just did their list of the world's 100 most attractive women. I'm not kidding you. We could, all of us guys, the guys in the room right now, me, Eddie, Budweiser, Zeth, Boston, Rob, and Sean. We could take legitimate guesses for an hour straight. This name would not come up, Eddie. Marissa Miller. And it's a name. It is not Marissa Miller. And it's a name that you know very well. Is this the number one chick? No, no, no, no. She's not number one. I'm just saying. She's just on there. I'm just saying she's on there. We know the name. We all know the name. Hot. Rosanna Arquette. That name would come up before this name would come up. Older?
Yes. How old, Skye? Oh, gosh. 40s? Yeah, I'd say early 40s. Early 40s. But that's just a guess. You want another hint? Candy Island. Not American. Yes, not American. Charo. It is not Charo. Celine Dion. It is not Celine Dion. Heidi Clark. Molly Shannon. Is that wrong? Scott Shannon would be on this list before this person. Heather Mills. is on FHM's list of the world's 100 most attractive women. Shut your offensive mouth. I'm telling you, I think it is. I don't think anybody would ever say that in a million years. I don't think she's bad looking. Well, she's not, but who would ever think to go, I've got it, Heather Mills. Not hot. Yeah, she came in number 95 on the list, but some people who didn't make the list, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani, and Kirsten Dunst. Oh, offensive. Yeah, Heather Mills is...
is considered more attractive than those women. Look at his face! Who was number 100? I tried to find the whole list. What do you have? The top what? No, I don't have anything. It's just the only stuff I could find on the internet is the fact that Heather Mills made the list. Why don't you go to FHN.com? I did. I went this morning and I couldn't find it. I saw lots of pictures of women in bikinis. How was it? It's alright. Seth found the list. Real tough. Well, they must have posted it. FHM.com? Where'd you find it? Where? Let me see. Shut up. You're an idiot. Shut up. Oh, no. Well, Seth. I'll admit it. I put FHN. I thought that's... I'm sorry. That's unreal. Thank you so much. Color me in there. You are the worst. Well. You rocked my life. You rocked my life. How do you feel right now? Well, because I was, because the list is called. She thinks he just made that website up. Admit that you made a mistake. Because the list. You made a mistake. I will stop. Dead silence. The list is called. If you admit.
Please, let me explain to you. If you made a mistake, I will not say a word. Let me explain to you. The list is called... The list is life. The list is called life. The list is called... Give me that Oscar music again. I'm going to give her Oscar music for this. Hang on, Sky. You just say, I made a mistake. Done. I'm stopping until we can get her Oscar music. Go ahead, Sky. Beautiful women. The list I'm referring to is the world's hundred most beautiful women. It's Heather Mills on Zest's list. Zest is Heather Mills number 95. That's all I need to know. She's so stupid. Oh, yeah. Is Heather Mills on Zeth's list? He has to scroll through it, he says. Yes or no? Ladies and gentlemen, Skye's mistake. Yes or no? You just say, screwed up. I don't believe I have. Skye, is Heather Mills on Zeth's list? I don't know. He won't tell us. Why did he tell us? Biggest mistake. And the award goes to Skye. I thought we had to go.
Eddie's sick. Give me the music again. I'm feeling better. And now, ladies and gentlemen, the 80th Academy... Sorry, my music ran out. And now, ladies and gentlemen, the award for the biggest mistake of the day... Oh, there it is, Eddie. It's up on the screen. Heather Mills. Yes, it's number 95. Oh, yeah, we're all so smart, and we're all so smart, and everybody's so smart except for Sky. Great. That is Sky's acceptance speech. That was a nice apology. Thank you very much, guys. And very gracious. We could have avoided all that. Sadly, we have to go. 570-1053. Missy, the lovely and talented Missy, will not be in today. Oh, no. Hey, it's the lovable Missy Guinness in today. Everybody loves him. Lovely and talented. I like my Budweiser like I like my Budweiser. That's right. His phrase is, I love the P1s.
Except the women. That's his friend. No, it's actually a slogan. It's not my slogan either. It's a lot more pukey. His Budweiser pukes when he talks. What is going on with her? What's up with her? I mean, there's no reason for it. Peace, love, and chicken grease. Oh, he'll bite you. That's right. All right, 570-1053. Call us right now. The beginning and end of every show. All right. We do an open phone. You can call in about anything you want. Now, Budweiser came in. He brought a big old milk carton full of records. Yeah, what you got? Yeah, what are you going to be playing today? All request Tuesday lunch, my friends. There you go. A lot of cake. Why did he talk like that? Well, I'm looking in the box. Why can't he just talk normal? Because I don't want to. Yeah, how about that? But you talk normally, right?
Yeah, in your face. Leave him alone. Leave him alone. First Heather Mills, now this. Mikey Show, hello. Blender only has one leg, too. Mikey Show, hello. Yes. Hello, hello, yes. Alright, thank you. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. Yes. Hey, you say you couldn't have a scary movie with a good-looking guy in it? Yeah. I beg to differ. Brad Pitt was in Seven, dude. That was a rad movie. Yeah, that's true. Oh, thanks, Mike. All right, I got you, bro. That's true. You got me on that one. Well, weren't you saying that the person just can't be the bad guy? No, no, no, no. I was saying that a good-looking person in a scary movie distracts from the scariness. Kevin Bacon, Friday the 13th. That's gorgeous. Christian Bale, American Psycho. Forget it. But he was real scary. It's a worse movie, though. That's not a scary movie. You got to give me an example of a scary movie first.
Yeah, like Mike named Nightmare on Elm Street. I didn't name Mike. I didn't name. Oh, Eddie did. Another mistake. That's another. Heather knows now this. Mikey's show. Hello. Hey, T1 T-Rex, what's happening? T-Rex! Hey, I just want to say, you guys got the best show in the world. Oh, thank you, T-Rex. I'm going to keep going. Because if you move, I'm going to have to follow you wherever you guys are. Thank you very much, T-Rex. So please stay in San Diego. We appreciate that. You guys know T-Rex. He has that song called Flo Rida. Yep. Oh. What? Okay. Oh, wait a minute. No, that's T-Pain. That's T-Pain. He's got that song, Bang-A-Gong. Yeah, T-Rex has that song, Bang-A-Gong. Yeah. Let's see. Yeah, real good. I forget it. Yeah, real good. Mikey Show, hello. Yo, what up? What's going on? What's up? Nothing chilling, man. Just wanted to say what's happening to see how you guys did. What's going on? Ain't chimed in in a while. Who is this? P-1-A-O. P-1-A-O. What's cracking? What's up, dude? Chilling man, just wondering how the family's going on on that radio side. We're doing all right. Today, although, we got a lady down today and Budweiser's filling in. Instead of Missy being in here today, it will be the lovely and talented Budweiser. That's understandable. That's right. And he comes home crying to his mom? He does not. He's great. We love Budweiser. He's respectful to the media? He is. He's respectful to the public?
And he's a good kid. He is. He's all those things. He is a good kid. It's garbage. Looks like he's got a lot of YNT records in there. Let's see. Sticks. REO Speedwagon. Genesis. Not bad. Yeah. But no Rush. None. No. I'll start that again. Let's see. I'm going through his records right now. Yeah. What else we got? Sebasti. Yes. This is... Oh, bread. Oh, bread is good. No, it's actual bread. No, he's... Why is there a piece of bread in here? He wants a sandwich. Look at this. Oops. American pie? It's actually a slice of pie. That's really weird. Okay. Meatloaf. Make a note, Ashley. We couldn't make these jokes. I know, right? We would be awful people. Oh, you would be skinned verbally. I mean, albeit in a pukey way, but you would be skinned verbally. Last one. Last one, buddy. Last one. There's no reason for this. No, no, buddy. I swear it's the last one. It's the last one. Until Eddie makes another one. Mikey show. Hello. Hello. Hello.
Yes. Is this the Mikey show? Yes, it is. Okay, I was just trying to find out what book Mikey recommended yesterday. Which, the one about the relationships? Yeah. It's like she love, he love or something like that. He said she's scared. That's a different book, man. It's he's scared. Also a good read. It's called He's Scared, She's Scared. Thank you. Okay. She's like, you know what, isn't it? You guys are goofing. Lovely and talented Budweiser's up next, and he is fun, and he is cool, and you'll love him, and you better know him. I can't stop eating. All right, Sean. For goodness sake. Old Spaghetti Factory. That is true. It's true. And it's gone from downtown, too. I'm so mad. There's one in San Marcos. $4 for eight pounds of spaghetti. Delicious. And dessert. All right, we'll come back on tomorrow morning, and tomorrow on the show, we'll be doing something called Secret Crush. Oh, wow.
Don't forget Thursday we're broadcasting live from K1 Speed. And we'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out.
