I love it. I love it so much. What's going on, man? It's the Mikey Show broadcasting here. Live from K1 Speed in Carlsbad. It is 6.01. The mayor of La Mesa says he will not resign after being found drunk in public. The new Cubs owners are thinking of selling the naming rights to Wrigley Field. All right, so you can probably hear behind me that they are racing. This is so cool. Yeah, they're racing. These little... Now, I'm going to try to describe what we're at. K1 Speed is an indoor racing facility. And I've heard that a million times. It never computed. Yeah. It never computed until I actually showed up here and I noticed that there's this gigantic warehouse. And you walk into this warehouse and they've got a kind of reminded me of like a roller derby kind of fenced off area. And inside of that is this track. where these cars go around this track and they're like going fast man dude this is like so much more than i expected it to be like i used to do like go-kart racing up in the bay area and it was like so ghetto it was like an abandoned parking lot with tires lining the place this place is legit like it's indoor everything is like clean and nice and beautiful i'm impressed yeah it's very very for real man this place is cool and so it's the site of
The next B-Rob and Eddie Challenge. Oh, Eddie. Eddie is, well, let me introduce everybody. There are seven people on the show, and I'm just going to tell you our names because we're live and on location. It's going to be a little difficult to go through the roll call like we normally do. First, let me give you the address. We're at 6212 Corte del Abeto. Yeah, dude. Oh, hey. Corte del Abeto in Carlsbad. That is just off. If you're going, if you're taking the five, if you're on the five, get off on Palomar Airport Road and head east. And I'm going to have to find out the name of the street that you take a ride on, but I'll get that information for you in just a second. It's real easy to find us because we put...
Rock 105 put all these big signs out to say, turn here, turn here. So you'll find it real easy. But we're inviting P1s to actually come down here this morning and spend time with us and watch this race that's going to go on between Eddie and B-Rob. So let me introduce everybody real quick. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, and Zeth. These are seven people on the Mikey Show. And the people that are here right now, myself, Eddie, Sky, Boston Rob. And right now, that's it. We're waiting for Ashley to get here. She had to do some stuff at the station. And Sean, can you hear me? Yes, I can. So Sean is tied in with us via satellite as usual. That's right, sweetie. It's really great. It's really great. Sean, I can tell you this already. I need some Purell antibacterial. Yeah. Our boy, Eddie. Yeah. is not feeling good. Oh, no. I just looked over at Eddie, and he's got that smile. He's got that smile on his face that says, Hi, guys. I want to die. Listen, Mike. Yes, Eddie. Let me tell you a quick story. Preach it. Got a letter yesterday from a little boy named Timmy. Uh-oh. I don't believe that. Timmy wrote, he said, Mr. Eddie. I don't believe it. Mr. Eddie. How are you going to compete tomorrow?
When you have the flu, and I wrote Timmy back, Mike, and I said, listen, Timmy, this is a life lesson for you, buddy. When you're a competitor, you fight no matter what. Some people, they'll call me a hero, Mike, and I say, no, I'm not a hero. The men and women in the military, they're the real heroes. I'm just a guy who's going to go out there and give it his best no matter what. And whatever happens, happens. And I'm going to lay it all on the line. Some say I've already won. All right. I don't know who said that. I don't know who said it either. Oh, Timmy said you already won. Where's Timmy from? San Diego. Okay. Okay. Well, that's Eddie's story about little Timmy. 25 years old, Mike. Wow, that's really inspiring. Let's definitely give a shout-out to little Timmy. I feel like I could climb a mountain now. He's only got one arm. He's only got one arm. P1 Danny just showed up, and he's got his P1 site stuff going on, and it says. That is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Oh, my goodness. That sign has a Photoshopped picture of Boston Rob's face on a hot dog with a bun and mustard. So he's the hot dog. Basically, B-Rob is the hot dog, the Frank, as it were, the wiener. And his arms are sticking out of the side of the hot dog. That's really gross.
Really gorgeous. And it says B-Rob is a hot dog. Ew. That's wrong for so many reasons. It's just wrong. That is really fantastic. That ham's good. I'll say it is. Okay. Not necessary. Hey, listen. This is the other amazing thing. The Mikey Show is going high tech. Yeah. You can call us right now at 570-1053. And I will be able to actually take the calls myself. Who's running the board? Zeth? Zeth and Mal. Zeth and Mal. All right, so I want to let Zeth and Mal know all Zeth needs to do is screen the call for me, put it up on the call screener, and then, Mal, you need to make sure that you hit the phone button and have it potted up, and that's it. We can get people on the air. Now, don't forget, Mal, when we go into commercial, turn that sucker off. Turn that phone pot. You do that. Hit the off button, dude, because otherwise the people will be on the air talking. Have you seen some of this P1 custom gear that's out here? Dude, I'm so impressed by P1s. Dude. There's a P1 out here right now. Come over here, bro. Come here. Well, I'm speechless now. I am so speechless. Yeah, I am speechless as well. That is impressive. Like, I want that. Yeah. This guy is wearing a sky. Oh, my goodness. Look at that. It's a custom-made...
Camouflage jacket. That's a cool looking jacket, by the way. And turn around. Let me see the front of you. It's not a jacket. What is it? It's a jersey. It's a custom made. It's a custom made camouflage jersey. It's got the Mikey Show P1 sticker on the top, you know, across the chest. And it looks amazing. It said radio. It says radio never felt so good underneath it. On the long sleeves, it's got Rock 105.3. On the back, let me see what's going on in the back. On the back, it says P1 Hitman. It's got the number 24, like his jersey number. It's got a picture of a man and a woman enjoying ham. It's got a picture of a panda bear that says, I love furry. It's got, turn a little bit so I can see some more. Boston Red Sox, it's got on there. With a line through it. With a line through it. It's got a, excuse me, it's got a killer whale on it. That's not cool. Obviously. With bright red eyes, like devil eyes. And it's got a picture of a guy underwater with like a tube going up to the surface. Now, is that for National Polytechnic University? It's flooded.
Somebody being flooded out. Oh, it's Ashley in her apartment. Ashley in her apartment. Okay, that's awesome. And then it says listen and decide underneath that. Really an amazing thing. Go ahead and order mine double X. So that's really gorgeous. The campaign shirt we have over here. We have a campaign shirt that says Papani B-Rob 08. As you know, Eddie and B-Rob are running on the ticket with Eddie as president, B-Rob as vice president. It's a takeoff on the Bush Cheney sticker. It really is, and it's gorgeous. I'm going to tell you right now, it's got the American flag on it, and it's gorgeous. Exfoliate in 08. That's right. Exfoliate in 08? That's their Rob slogan. Oh, okay. So 5701053. You can call us right now at 570-1053. We have open phone lines at the beginning and end of every show. We'll be broadcasting from K1 Speed. And I want to get out there, too. Sky, would you do it? I think I'm good. Thank you. I think that you would be good at driving fast. I think I'm fine. Thank you. You're not going to try? Well, I don't know. It looks fun, but it looks like they go fast. Yeah, I think you'll be fine. I don't really. You tried fast. That's right. Well, that's different. Pretend you're going on. That's all.
I'm scared of the unknown. I know you like them. I love them. So, well, this is going to be great, man. I'm really excited to be out here. And it's an amazing setup that they have for us out here. I mean, we're doing a full on, you know, cool broadcast from out here. So we want to see people come in and watch us do the show so we don't feel like we're doing this for nothing. Come on out and see us. Some of the top stories that we're looking at this morning is, first of all, the mayor of La Mesa. who I guess was found drunk on the sidewalk next to his car. And this was like a week ago? Yeah, last Wednesday. Okay, so they found him drunk next to his car last Wednesday. And there's a lot of people calling for his resignation. And this is what the mayor had to say. The mayor of El Cajon. No, no, no. Excuse me. La Mesa. This is what the mayor of La Mesa had to say yesterday. Cut 46. Hell no. Don't you hear me? I said hell no. I didn't hear him. Oh, well, I don't know. What does he mean by that? What did he say? Can he elaborate? This is what is important to remember as you guys hear this clip. This is what's important to remember. Don't try to analyze what he's saying. Oh, okay. Because it would be so easy and such a temptation for us to try to read into those words. Yeah, I want to. I want to. But again, the mayor of La Mesa responding to whether or not... Mr. Mayor, will you...
In fact, resigned, cut 46. Hell no. Did you hear me? I said hell no. Did you get it? What is this guy's name? Madrid is his, Art Madrid. Art Madrid. Yeah, and you know, last Wednesday when I guess a neighbor, because he was actually in his own neighborhood when this all went down, a neighbor called 911 after seeing some dude like laying on the sidewalk. And then I guess when the cops showed up, he was like laying on the sidewalk. And then another person from who works for the city was in the driver's seat with her like feet hanging out, visibly intoxicated. There was vomit around the car. Yeah. And so they're actually going to hold a special meeting tonight. The city council to discuss this because because what happened is the police showed up and then ended up taking the two and putting them in the cop car and driving them to his house. to the mayor's house. And people are like, isn't that special treatment? No, that's what we do for every single human being that we find. That's what the police are claiming, that there was no special treatment. Sounds like me and Rob Saturday night. So the city council is going to be discussing the mayor's behavior tonight in La Mesa as well as the police response to that. Do we have a setup back where we can actually talk?
to Zeth, because I want to be able to include Zeth if we want to. Does Zeth have on headphones? If he's screening, he should just be able to pop his mic on as long as it's on. Unless he doesn't have cans. And then who's the guy running the boards guy? Mal. Mal, I always forget. I want to be able to talk to Mal on the air, too, in case I need to. And the reason I'm asking is because I don't see anybody calling, and I can't believe that that's the case. Like there's nothing up on my call screener and there's nothing. That's hard to believe. That's really hard to believe. Mikey? Yes. This is Mal, by the way. Mal, does anybody call him? Yeah, there's a caller on line one. Okay, let me try to answer it from here. Is it up and potted up? It should be on. Okay, do you know if Zeth is screening? He is screening, but I took his headphones so he can't hear. Okay, that's fine. All he needs to do is make sure that I'm not seeing. Tell him I'm not seeing anything on my screen. Okay. So for him to start screening. Oh, Zed. Let me try to answer a call, though. Okay. Let's see. Line one is up right now. Yeah, I see it. Hit it, Mike. I'm trying. Why are you hitting it? I'm clicking it. You should hit it. Nothing's happening. Hello? Trevor, can you help me with this? Do you know why this isn't working? I'm hitting ringing. Nothing's happening. Working out the kink, Sean.
Don't you worry. It's all right, Sean. It's okay. These infections. Shani, I know, is okay with this. He told me about this technology. Well, yeah, but it should have been worked out. We tried it earlier. It worked. Oh, did it, Mike? Yeah, Trevor. Yeah, I don't know. You don't know? Okay. All right. Oh, no. Good enough. You know what I mean? What can we do? Done and done. Well, attitude. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I clicked it. Then it should work. I clicked it. Double click it, though. I double clicked it. Right click it. What if I were to triple dog click it? Yeah. Maybe use the mouse. Click it. You know what? You could try kicking it. I don't know if that would work so well, Sean. Well, but something would happen, I bet. Well, that's true. Because, yeah, I get something working. So, Mal. Well, first of all, let's do this. 570-1053. Let's get some people calling. That might help, too, is if we get some calls generated, we get some people calling in. At the beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. So it's completely up to you. You can call in about anything that you feel like calling in about. You can comment on TV last night. You can ask us questions. You can say the word ham. It's really up to you. Whatever is on your mind.
Banned that word. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead, Trevor. I like him. So did you guys watch any TV last night? Did you guys do the American Idol? Yep. And last night was Ladies Night, right? Yes. They were doing some 70s songs. Oh, yuck. Yes. That's usually kind of lame when they do that. Well, yeah. I mean, the 70s. Everybody really enjoys the 70s tunes. And then they also showed that Carly from San Diego works at the field. Oh, really? That was pretty cool. The Field is a great Irish restaurant downtown. That was awesome. It was really cool. I believe this is going to work. Mikey Show, is somebody there? Hello? Come on. Put that up a little higher, Mal. Mikey Show, is somebody there? Mikey, I got you. Can you hear me? Yeah, can you hear me? I got you. Hey, I just wanted to say about that Art Madrid guy. You know what? I wish I lived in La Mesa so I could vote for him because at least he's honest. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, wait a minute. I got a question for you. Okay. Because all we have from him, and again, if you're just tuning in, they found the mayor of La Mesa. His name is Art Madrid. They found him drunk by his car last week. The cops drove him home, which some people are saying is special treatment. And we have a guy on the line. What's your name, by the way? Q1 Sean. Q1 Sean. And Sean is saying that...
He thinks that Art, Madrid, you know, hey, at least he's being honest. And that's what I got to ask you. What is he being honest about? Because the only clip that I have from him is they ask him to resign, and he says, cut 46. Hell no. Did you hear me? I said, hell no. Okay, so what is it, Sean, that you feel is honest? The fact that the guy's living his life and not hiding it. You know, I mean, it's kind of hard to hide that you've got a drinking problem. And you know what? Hey, if he's got a drinking problem, he's a human being. That's all of us. Before we start jumping to conclusions, the day that he went out and got, you know, apparently pretty intoxicated was the anniversary of his son's death from cancer, the 18-year anniversary. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So I don't think we should jump to the conclusion that the guy has a drinking problem because one time he was found passed out on the sidewalk. Okay. Well. Sky, I mean, to each their own. I'm just saying. I will say this. Usually when somebody is found with their own vomit by the curb and they're on the curb, it's usually indicative. Well, it could be. I bet you're different. Eddie, wait a second, Eddie. He's been there, done that many times. Okay, wait a second. This is my question to Sean, though, is that Sean said at least he's honest. What is he being honest about?
He got faced, Mikey, and then he got found out on the street. And you know what? He's not denying it. There's nobody coming out and saying, hey, this guy is, you know, this and that. Okay, his son. Okay, wait, wait, wait. Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean. Wait, wait, wait. Let me interrupt you just for a second. I'm going to clear this one up with you. I got to ask you, what is it about the words hell no that scream honesty to you? Look at his face. I mean, what is it about that that you're like, hey, good for you? It's not good for you. It's somebody being honest for once and coming out and saying, you know what, I did something wrong. No, no, wait a minute, Sean. Where are you hearing him saying any of that? Well, he did say that. I mean, we don't have a clip of that. That's what I'm asking. I'm like, what did he say? We did have a clip of that, but he did say that the incident was unfortunate, and it was embarrassing and humiliating, and he promised it would never happen again. Okay. Well, there you go. I was really wanting to get to that, and I'm glad. That's what I was trying to get to. Yeah, we didn't have any. We couldn't find any audio of that. All we could find the audio was, the hell no, he won't resign. Hell no. Okay, sir. Don't you hear me? Is it hell no? No, we heard you.
So he says it'll never happen again. Hey, Sean, thanks for the call, man. All right, Ham. Ham. Ham to you. Ham back. Why? It's not that funny, people. Especially you, Danny. It's not that funny. And also with Ham. 570-1053. Give us a call. Beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. And you can call about anything you want. Mikey Show. Hello. Hello. Yeah, I want to talk about the Art Madrid. Yeah, go ahead, man. Yeah, well, I frequent the bars around there, and that's not the first time he's gotten like that. Really? Yeah. What do you mean? Like, you're saying that you've seen him on the sidewalk before? I've seen him throw up several times around the La Mesa area. Really? Well, I don't know. This is a random dude calling saying it. Yeah, he knows. What bars are you frequenting? Norm's, Heath Place. He goes to all those local bars around there. I used to think of those bars as well, so I'd like to hear what bars these are. Norm, up on El Cajon Boulevard. Norm is one of my favorites. Norm. Norm. Thank you. This is a resident of La Mesa talking about a cut 45. He's a liability to the city. Who's going to take Art Madrid seriously now?
You know, that's my feeling. It's time for a change. Wow. That's going to get worse before it gets better. Hell no. Did you hear me? I said hell no. I heard you, sir. P1 Deeper is on the line. Deeper, are you there? I'm here, Mikey. What's up, brother? Hey, listen, I've got a prime example of how this is absolutely special treatment. Two weeks ago, in my backyard, I got arrested for being drunk in public. In your backyard? In my backyard. That's brutal. How did that happen? Well, we were having a jam session in the backyard. I guess we're making too much noise. We are. Who amongst us has them? Is this Dwight Yoko and Slingblade? All right, so you're having a jam session. Jamming out. Three o'clock, I see the cops right at the side of my yard. Right. I go out there and I say, oh, hey, what's going on, guys? I say, it's too loud. Say, all right, we'll turn it down. How loud are we allowed to play? We smell alcohol on you, sir. We're going to take you in. In my backyard. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense. It seems like there would be a little bit more of a conversation than that. Did you, like, punch the cop in the face before he said that or something? No, but he did say I threatened him with my drumsticks. Oh, maybe you did. Oh, we forgot about that part. Maybe you did. Maybe there was a little threatening with drumsticks going on.
Well, yeah, you did not get special treatment, sir. No. That's unfortunate. You rocked my life. I've got to tell you, it was a great jam session. Oh, good. We really worked it out. I really want to live next door to that guy. There you go. 3 a.m., jamming in the backyard. P1 Craig has a question for Sky. Craig, are you there? Yes, I am, Mike. Go ahead, man. Sky, I'm just curious. Are you going to forget your husband's birthday again this year? It's a legitimate question, Skye. That's not a legitimate, and I didn't really forget it last year. Yes or no? It was just one moment a month prior where I kind of, you know, whatever, made other plans. But, no, there are already plans in the works for the Bunny Boo's birthday, so thank you very much. Hey, Craig, great question. I appreciate the phone call. Horrible question. No problem. I know you like them. I love them. P1 Jam, or excuse me, P1 Master JM. Master JM, you there? Yes, yes I am, Mikey. What's going on, dude? Well, I'm getting my first paycheck today. I was wondering where I should go and eat. So I was wondering what your favorite food is. Now, when you say you're getting your first paycheck, do you mean ever or your first paycheck at a new job or what do you mean? Ever. You're getting a first paycheck ever. That's cool. Yeah. Now, how old are you? Sixteen. Sixteen. Very nice. What part of town do you live in, dude? Hello.
Are you there? Uh-oh. He just couldn't wait to go spend that money. Oh, no. Go to Armadrid's house. It goes off. It goes off as a rager every night. Eddie, are you feeling any better yet? Did you hear me? I said hell no. I heard you. Oh, hey. You guys, Eddie's a trooper. This guy was sick yesterday. You're sick. How are you feeling, Sky? Are you better? Yeah, I'm doing okay. Like, in the mornings and at night, I feel like junk, but I'm fighting it off. But, I mean, I feel so bad for Eddie because everybody who I've talked to who has gotten this thing has, like, been laid out on their back for a week straight. And for him to be two days in and to be... Oh, wait. Oh, that's not... What up, dude? Oh, hi. Eddie, are you taking anything? Yeah. We're in Carlsbad. Who? You're going to get in one of those little cars and race around this thing. Are we going to the caverns? No. No, we're not. No, no. We're here for you to... Is that Anderson P. Soup still around? No. I love that place. I know. Anderson Cooper is on CNN if you want to pick that up. That's fantastic. Eddie, what are you taking? The Alka-Seltzer, Theraflu stuff. Ew. Gross. That stuff is gross, man. I have such high respect for people who are able to gag that stuff down. Right? Yesterday.
Did a bunch of stuff. Did it put you in a coma? Pretty much. I slept all day yesterday. But what do you do, man? True champions show up. That's right, man. True champions. Eddie, we'll make you feel better with a little P1 Duck. He's on the line right now. Let's see. Duck, are you there? Oh, I just hung up on him. On the stage. I do feel better. Way to go. Sorry, Duck. Not really sure how many people are interested in applying for this job, but Senator Larry Craig is looking for interns. There you go, Rob. Yep, there it is. That's right. So if you are a young person, I guess, what are the requirements, Sky? I am not gay. I never have been gay. Requirements are a vest. And be able to sing the Bee Gees. Yeah. Yeah. Must like flannel. I mean, it doesn't specifically say, but normally to be an intern, you have to be enrolled in college. But his press release says, it says for those interested in politics, it's an incredible. Enjoy bathroom stalls. It's an incredible opportunity to get a behind the scenes look. Don't say behind. He should never. That guy should never say behind. You ever seen a grown man naked?
Apparently. That'll be interesting. That'll be the day, Sky. That's what I'm saying, Mike. Let's see. Angelina and Brad are rumored to be having another girl. And that they might do this in France. Yeah, she may give birth in France. I've abandoned my boy! I've abandoned! But it's a girl. It's a little baby girl. I've abandoned my child! Oh, okay. My daughter, H.W. I don't know if they're going to... Give her the same name. That's awkward. Yeah, well, I guess they have a chateau in France. Of course. Well, duh, who doesn't? And so Angelina wants to give birth there because I guess her mother was born in France and to honor the memory of her mother, blah, blah, blah. Sean, now why do you hate France so much? Come on. No, it's not that. It's that she wants to have this stupid baby in... Like, a non-sterile environment? Like, it's so gross, man. Hey, listen. Like, what is he going to do? Like, jump in the sink when it all goes down? I mean, this stuff's got to go somewhere. I want to ask the mayor of La Mesa if he thinks that they should have this child in France. Do you think that they should do that, Mayor? No. Okay.
I can't hear you. No. Okay. Wow. He doesn't like that. He probably doesn't like the idea. Not a fan. All right, so if you want to come down here and see us, we would love for you to. Just all you have to do is Google or MapQuest 6212 Corte del Abeto. Abeto. Abeto. And it's in Carlsbad, 92011 if you want to MapQuest. And come down here because we're going to be broadcasting the entire show from out here. We can take your calls. And so you can call us at 570-1053. That's what I think is pretty cool about the system we have worked out here now. We can actually take phone calls. Mikey Show, who's this? This is Tracy. Casey? P1 Tracy. Tracy, what's up? You sound like you have the bug that Eddie has. I've had it for a couple weeks. but stay in bed, Eddie. I'm back at work. Eddie, stay in bed. Stay in bed, Eddie. By stay in bed, do you mean run a race in an indoor racetrack? Wear a helmet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go real fast around corners. Put on a face sock. Put on a flame-retardant face sock. That's what you mean, right, Tracy? Yeah, and PlayStation works for racing.
I see. I can win at that. Eddie, if you need me to stand in for you, I'll do anything you need, buddy. I'll be there for moral support if you want to get in that car. I'll do anything you need, man. You're going to race for me? Dude, I would absolutely race for you. Really? He's going to be your number two. I would if you needed it. I'm absolutely there for you is what I'm saying. offering myself, but you're here. Yeah, I'm here. Very grease too reminiscent. That's right. I don't know what that means. Just regular grease. Well, remember when they're going to race for the pinks. Yeah, you're racing for drinks, dude. No, racing for the pinks. Racing for drinks. I did that a lot. Well, you're losing fluids. That's right, dude. Racing for drinks. That's under road. Nobody remembers. Whatever. Do not. Nope. All right, so here's what we got on the show for you today. We are going to be getting this race underway just after 7 o'clock between Eddie and B-Rob. And also, we're going to be bringing up the topic of if you could bring back any celebrity from the dead. Now, I'm talking about Eddie. Well, wait a minute. You're not dead, bro. I'm talking about real people, you know, like musical or actors or whatever, you know, even sports figures. If you could bring anybody back from the dead.
Who would it be? We'll talk about that in just a little bit. We've got an interesting email that we brought with us out here that we want to read to you. We're going to talk about things that your spouse does that were so cute when you were dating. And how cute are they now? And we're also going to do something called Sean TV. Again, 6212, Corte del Abeto. We are at K1 Speed. You're invited to come out. We're opening doors to you. We're going to hang out with you. So come on down here, P1s. We're in Carlsbad. And let's see. Who do we have? It is Stephen Wright in the stand-up spotlight. We'll be back after this. So I was driving my car around, decided to hook my brake lights up to my gas pedal just to confuse the people behind me. I hit the gas and the brake lights go on. They stop and I'm gone. They say, what is he driving? One of mine has a car phone, has an answering machine on his car phone. The message is, hi, I'm home right now, so I can't come to the phone. But if you leave your name and number, I'll call you when I'm out. What's a P1? A P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. The P1 Army.
Mikey Show. During the Volkswagen Signed and Drive event, practically the only thing you need to get into a new VW is your signature. Okay, sir. Let's get you into a Jetta. All right, we've got some slow traffic developing right now on South 15 coming out of Escondido. The usual stuff pretty much to expect. No surprises. Still off to 78 off and on down the Via Rancho Parkway. Your coaster ride on South on 5 is picking up some slow traffic as well here out of Bencinitas down towards Manchester. Not too bad out of the East County. The West 894, they're looking good into the city. The West 52 is starting to see a bit of a backup though past Mass Boulevard as you come up the hill here out of Santee. In the 5805 northbound out of the south bay, starting to see some traffic here as well, especially this 5 freeway. That's punching up around that 54 up to National City. 805 gets heavier, though, out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, this is P1 Matt. Hey, I just want to thank you for hooking me up with Sleep Train. Went there two days ago. We got Sterns and Foster, just like you.
Went to Santee Sleep Train. We got the bed for a price that I can't even mention on the radio. And then they gave us all the accessories, the sheets, a really nice bed frame, the mattress cover, you name it, everything half off. You slept on it yet? No, we get it delivered tonight. Lucky. Can't wait. You're going to love it, dude. We didn't get the exact same one you got. They showed me the one you got, but we got one of the other Sturdon and Fosters, and they're all nice. They're so awesome. That's awesome, dude. That makes me happy. Call me back and tell me tomorrow morning how your first night's sleep was on that sleep train mattress. Yeah, I might have to take Friday off. I'll be feeling too rested. I'll have to go take it. Or maybe we can join them. Yeah. For a nap. Is it cool if we come over and take a nap later? That's not. Yeah, the show. We got the California King. It's big enough for everybody. There you go. Thank you for the call. You guys having a killer time? Boons. Thank you. Sleep Train's your ticket to a better night's sleep. This is only the greatest thing ever, man. This system that we have set up out here to broadcast is so cool, man. Come on out. Hang with us.
It's 638. People magazine will have the first pictures of Nicole Richie's baby in this week's magazine. Congress has asked the feds to launch a Clemens inquiry. Hey, listen, I understand if you have to work this morning, but maybe you still want to be able to stop by just for a few minutes with us, hang out, watch what's going on. Just after 7 o'clock, Eddie and B-Rob will be racing. And this is just another in a long line of... sort of competitions that they've had. We do not have a bet we should come up with one. No. Something that you guys would do. My personal feeling is that you guys should have to wear something. Oh, that's always the most embarrassing. Yeah, wearing stuff is always good. I just love it. Would you guys be willing to wear, well, that's not really the question, is it? Would you be willing to? Right. It should be a question of how about you guys have to wear some ridiculous costume. Like what, at our next event? Whenever we do something, we'll come up with something public. Yeah, we'll do something. We'll come up with something public to do. I love it. Where you guys will have to dress in some ridiculous costume. Rob, I'm all in, Mike. Well, you dress ridiculous every day. That's a good point, Eddie. It's almost not fair. Yeah, right? It's almost not fair. You should have to dress normal. Can you find a costume that small? Oh, there's some stuff for babies. Yeah, there's Ken dolls. Those are jerks.
Might be in a quarter. In a quarter. That's right. Yeah, I'll do it. I don't care. Aw. Nice. All right, so it is set just after 7 o'clock. The green flag will fly on these guys. Come down here. We are located at, here's the address, 6212 Corte del Abeto. Are you ready to hear some real Spanish words here? Oh, here we go. I'm going to tell you how to get here. Get off on Palamore. Airport Road. Well, it's just Palomar Airport. Palomar. It's just Palomar. Get off on Palomar Airport Road and head east. Then take a right on Camino Vida Roble. Camino Vida Roble. Wow. Okay? Then you're going to take a left on Corte del Nogal. Oh, your dad is so proud right now. Corte del Nogal. And then a left on Corte del Abeto. Yeah, we got Rock 1053 signs out there once you get onto the streets, you know. Skye, we got A-frames that are set up. Well, yes, they're called A-frames. Yes, they are, Mike. Skye doesn't know anything. They're called A-frames. No, I was the one who explained it to you. Skye doesn't know. Well, Mike, she's a woman. Skye's a chick. But I explained it to Mike. She doesn't know what an A-frame is. I'm here to explain stuff when she don't know. But I explained it to you, too. Anyway. Is that weird that after each street you named, I got hungry?
They all sounded delicious. I know I've ordered one of those at one time or another. I think it's the number three. Yeah, you don't have to worry about it. There is signs up. Rock 105 puts signs up everywhere so you can find us real easy. So 570-1053 is our phone number. And you can come out and race too. Like the racing you're hearing in the back, those are P1s going around the track right now. So it's a lot of fun. We have Mal back at the studio running things. Mal, can you hear me? Yeah, what's up, dude? I just want to make sure that you know where the delay is located. Oh, yeah. I got that. Yes. And you know how all that stuff works. Yep. Very nice. Okay, let's talk a little bit about what's happening in the world. What's happening? Shut up. Let me tell you what's happening. My name's Sky. What's happening? All right. No, me for that. We're good. There is a movie called Semi-Pro coming out with Will Ferrell. Oh, I'm so excited for this. And he wants to tell us what the movie is going to be about, Cut 43. Unfortunately, the college football parody I'm doing is actually a drama. Taking a look at the in-depth problem we have with steroids use. It's not a fun movie at all. I have a feeling he's lying and that it is going to be a funny movie. Yeah, I think he's being silly. Hey, Ash just showed up. Ashley is here.
Our girl Ashley, I saw her fault. What's her fault? Ashley, what were you saying? I said I hear newspapers, but you guys haven't known what's been going on. Thank you, Ashley. Ashley brought us. How have you even been reporting anything? We didn't know anything. Thank you for bringing that. Ashley, you have been lending to your support through this whole experience to Eddie, but I hope you know. Guy's a little under the weather today. I'm fully aware. Do you think that that will play a role in his, you know, decision-making, his hand-eye coordination, his instincts? What are you talking about here? What? What else? Eddie's my idol. That's right. Well, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something, Ashley. Even though Eddie is not feeling that great, his sense of humor is still top-notch, and let me tell you why. He introduced me to the guy that's running this place this morning, and he almost got me. What? He goes, Mikey, I want to introduce you to the guy that runs this place. This is Jeff Gordon. And I said, Eddie, that's ridiculous. I know that a guy that runs a racing place is not really named Jeff Gordon. And I fell for it at first. I fell for it. And I was like, okay. What's his name early? I wasn't joking. It really is Jeff Gordon.
What? Like, for real? Yeah, it's really a joke. It probably deals with yahoos like you every day. Well, then I didn't realize that you were telling the truth, and I'm now embarrassed. Odd coincidence there. 570-1053 is our phone number if you want to give us a call. William F. Buckley Jr. has passed away at 82 years old. It is strange to hear the word junior associated with 82 years old, but the guy was, man. Sean will know this. Sean, who is William F. Buckley? I know the name, but I don't know what he does. My recollection is that he's a reporter. Wasn't he the first baseman for the Sox? Bill Buckley. Reporter and first baseman for the Sox. Falling through the legs. He's credited with founding the modern conservative movement. Yes, he was a reporter. The National Review founded that. Wasn't he on the OJ defense team?
My headphones just... There we go, there we go. I don't think so. He was the host for more than 30 years of the TV show Firing Line, a newspaper column he did called On the Right, so a big-time conservative. Yep, so every grandparent listening right now... Very sad. ...understands. Yeah. They are now recommending the flu shot for all kids. Thanks a lot. Now they tell us. Well, for all kids. I got mine, Mike. Did you really, Sean? Hell yes. When did you get it? Actually, I went into the doctor about three weeks ago, and she stood in front of the door. She would not let me leave until I took that shot. I didn't want to take it, but I'm so glad I did. Wow. Did you feel weird after you took it? Strange in any way? Of course, yeah. I was getting hot flashes and all kinds. I thought I was going to die, but I didn't. I'm telling you, that's what I say happens to me. And everybody says it's impossible. It's a dead virus. I had it. I definitely had those symptoms. I'm telling you, man, that shot freaks me out. Why are they saying this guy? Well, before they would just recommend it for children between six months and five years old. And now they're recommending it from everybody from six months all the way up to 18 years old. Just the flu is pretty hardcore and they think it's a good idea.
Kids get sick more often because they come in contact with a lot of people, a lot of things. And then plus when the kids are sick, the parents have to stay home from work. So it really affects everybody. So they're saying every kid should get a flu shot unless your kid is under. Yeah, they do. Unless your kid is under six months old or else if your kid has a serious egg allergy, then you're not supposed to get the flu shot. But every other kid. So make a note of the egg allergy. My wife has an egg allergy. Does she really? She won't eat him. She thinks they're gross. An allergy is if you think something's disgusting, right? Yep. If that was true, I would have an allergy to Rob. Oh, wow. I see him every day. Out of nowhere. Out of nowhere. Well, we know you ain't got an allergy to food. Wow. Wow. Easy. Wow. You had to go there. I have another pretty big headline here, and it is that folks in Point Loma and OB feel that the San Diego River stinks. And they've been saying that it's really disgusting and it stinks.
Yeah, well, because I guess it's a popular spot for walkers and joggers and bike riders along the river. Roller bladers. Roller skaters. George Takai. Yes, I enjoy the area quite a bit. And you enjoy the smell, too. Yes, you do, George. Okay. Interesting. Music to my nostrils. Ew. Well, I mean, I've never complained about it. I think that everyone that has such a complaint about it is just a big wussy. Oh, wow. That smells horrible, though, Sakai. Well, I mean, horrible is a subjective word. One man's horrible is another man's... What? Not horrible. Well said. It always stinks over there, man. When you drive over that little bridge of sunset cliffs or whatever it is, what is that? I don't know. You know what I'm talking about. Over there by SeaWorld Drive, when you're driving towards the beach, you drive over that bridge and there's the San Diego River and you're like, oh, that smells pretty gross. I think it's weird that they're just now barely talking about it. Anyway, this is the executive director of...
I love a clean San Diego. Oh, my favorite organization. Cut 47. Microbes are growing there. There's a lot of activity in terms of bacteria growth, and that's creating a sewer-type smell. Why don't you flush it? It's kind of refreshing that smell. Why don't you flush it? Sky is just giving me the break sign because Eddie is too weak to put this on. I'm telling you. Eddie is not doing this. Eddie is not doing this. I can't believe I was talking to him this morning. I'm like, how are you even here? Because when I had the flu, the second day is the worst. I could not get out of bed. I'm like, how are you here? Eddie's a trooper. You're a man. You're making it worse. He's unreal. I think that's how you got him. He's unreal. Yeah, I think that's how you got him. Whatever, dude, I stayed home. I'm not crazy. All right, let's do this. By the way, is Zeth, is Zeth alive? No, is Zeth useless? No. Stop it. Stop. Leave the poor guy alone. Better get it out of her system. Better work it out. I want to instruct Zeth back at the studio to screen phone calls. 570-1053. One of the things that we're going to talk about when we come back. Matter of fact, we'll bring this up. So we're talking about this.
In the office back at the station, it was kind of interesting to us. If you could bring any celebrity back from the dead, who would it be? I got my idea. And I want to hear from P1's 570-1053. Who would you bring back and why? And let's do this. We'll take a quick time out. When we come back, we'll be back here at K1 Speed in Carlsbad. And we're encouraging people to come hang with us. The Eddie and B-Rob Racing Challenge is going to take place in the 7 o'clock hour. We're at K1 Speed 6212, Corte de la Beto, Carlsbad. Come down and see us, and we'll be back. It's Rock 105.3. That's all there is to do it. All right. 570-1053. So the other day back in the office, we just started talking about this, and we were like, this would make a good topic for the air. We're talking about. who you would bring back to life if you could bring any celebrity back to life. Sports figure or, you know, celebrity or whatever. And it got to be a pretty interesting conversation. I think that it would be really cool to see what would be happening in John Belushi's movies careers. Wow. In his career. Wow. You did not just say that. John Beluga? What is that? Who is that? You know who John Belushi is. I don't. You do, too, know. Who? You've never seen Animal House? No. Yes, she has. No, I haven't. Yes, she has. Okay, well, evidently, Michael's just going to answer for me. I'm going to answer for Ashley. Oh, he knows me. She knows who John Belushi is. I've never seen Animal House. Okay, maybe you don't know who John Belushi is. I thought you did. You're a bad person. You're a bad person. That's all right. You need to see Animal House. Skye, who would you bring back to life?
Um, gosh. Well, it was between Bob and Jerry and then... What? Is that a morning show in El Paso? Bob and Jerry. Bob and Jerry from the Country 94.1. It's Tom and Jerry. No, it's Ben and Jerry. You guys are ridiculous. Between Jerry Garcia and Bob Marley. Like you guys didn't know who I was talking about. And he's looking at me right now like, dude, I'm already sick. But then I decided Jerry got a lot of albums out there. He got a lot of good years. I met him. You met Jerry Garcia? Yeah. How? Because I was like 10 years old and my grandparents' neighbor was like their manager and hooked us up with backstage passes. So my whole family went to a Grateful Dead concert. And I was 10 years old, and I had no idea that it was Jerry Garcia, and I bumped into him backstage. And he was like, to me, he was like Santa Claus. Like, that's what I thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Except missing a finger. Right. And he was like, oh, excuse me, little girl, you know. And my dad was like, you're the luckiest little girl in the world. Was he really missing a finger? Well, half a finger, yeah. He was so old when I met him, and he died very shortly after, so. Eddie, how about you? Who would you meet? Oh, I didn't. Oh, you have other people? No, so I decided on Bob.
Because Bob was younger when he passed, and I think he could have done more if he lived. Because he was like 36 years old. Eddie is giving the body language that says, okay, great, we've heard you. Can I now? I'm sorry, Sticky. I would bring back Andre the Giant. Oh, wow. Why? I like it. Why? What do you mean, why? I mean, why? First of all, he's the eighth wonder of the world. He was the greatest in-ring competitor of all time. And I think it would be fascinating to see him wrestle some of today's stars, such as The Undertaker, John Cena, Bautista against Andre the Giant. It'd be crazy. Okay, so Eddie, if he's the eighth wonder of the world, then would that make you the ninth wonder of the world? She is so all about you today. Is this how this is working? I don't know. Seventh one. I would say, without making the ninth wonder of the world, that Eddie is. It's not going to work. I don't understand why she's really hoarding you. I think she just hates Rob that much. Oh, I guess that makes sense. That does make sense. Neither here nor there, Eddie. I just think that you're awesome. Thank you. Sean, how about you? Who would you bring back? Mike, I would love to bring back Jack Cassidy. Who? Who's that? Jack Cassidy? Yeah. Was he who?
Is he like in the Partridge family or something? Oh, he's a great actor. He was in many episodes of Columbo. Hold on, dude. Can I talk, please? Yeah, character actor, right? Yeah, yeah. Sean, can you ever be real? Mike, he was in Night Gallery. Yeah, dude. I mean, he was in a lot of great shows and a really great actor, a great talent, and he'll really be missed. Oh, great. Why don't you bring back George Capard? Yeah. Why don't you bring him back? Yes, he is. Oh, he is. Eddie, you're sick, dude. P1 Lanari is on the line. Lanari, are you there? Hey, what's up? Not too much, dude. So you would bring back Chris Farley? Yes, sir. Why? So we didn't have to watch David Spade throw his career away. That's a great point. That is true, because they used to do a lot of movies together, right? Carly's the best, absolutely. P1, Jeff, I think a lot of people would agree with yours. Go ahead. Who would you bring back? Dimebag Daryl. Dimebag Daryl. Who? Because imagine what would be going on with, like, Pantera. Yeah, Pantera reunion. Exactly, Pantera reunion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We think so? I mean, wasn't...
Pantera done? Weren't they doing their damage plan thing? Yeah, but they would eventually get back together. And he's cleaned up, almost died and got better. So I think he'd come to terms. He did it. They'd probably work it out. Okay. They'd probably work it out. I think they would have worked it out. I'd bring back Jonas Salk. I don't even know who that is. What is that? Maybe Salvador Dali. Yeah. Who's that? Or, you know, Nikola Tesla. Yeah. July Whitney. You're not allowed to make people up. P1 Big Mike is on the line. Mike, are you there? What's up, Mikey? What's going on, dude? Who would you bring back? I'd bring back Kurt Cobain. He'd be 41 by now. Yes. Great call. Great call. So, if he was back, what would he be doing? Like, what do you guys think Kurt Cobain would be doing? I wonder if the Foo Fighters would even exist if Kurt Cobain ended up. The Foo Fighters were together when Nirvana was together. He was making the first Foo Fighters album when they were making In Utero. And they were breaking up anyway. Well, I know. Well, he died in 94. Right. And that album, that Foo Fighters album came out in 95. They must have. He might have been working on it. He was. Interesting.
Nirvana broken up when he died, or were they still together? They were about to break up when he died. That's one of the things. He was on his way out, but, yeah, they were about to break up. He was talking about it nonstop, about breaking up with his group. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, hey, Big Mike, I appreciate it, man. All right, good luck, Rob. Whatever, man, what boy. P1NATO, are you there? I'm here. Okay, who would you bring back? I'd like to bring back, I actually got two names. Walter Payton. There's a reason why it's called the NFL Man of the Year, and it's for people like Walter Payton. Right on. And Lane Staley, because I'd like to hear what Allison Shane would sound like. That's another good one. You guys imagine what would have been going on? Because they would probably still be making music. For sure. And it would have matured. Yeah, Cantrell's solo stuff was good, but without Lane's harmonies, it's just not the same. Yeah, I think you're right, man. I think that they would probably be doing, like, stuff that got a little bit, I don't know, cooler sounding, older, more mature, you know, that kind of deal. Hey, Nato, that's a good one, dude. I appreciate it. This is an interesting one. P1 Pops, are you there? Yes, sir. Pops, who would you bring back? Bradley Noel from Sublime. Yes, great one. Dude.
He died way too young, man. And the music he would be creating right now would just be unbelievable, I bet. I wonder what it would be like. Because you would have to think that if he were alive, he would have had to clean up his act. And so what would that music be like if it wasn't all about getting high and getting, you know, what would it turn into? I wonder. You know, I'm a recovering addict myself. You know, if he smoked a little weed every night again, it'd be okay. But if he'd just stay off the heroin, it wouldn't be so bad. Okay, well. Words of wisdom. I wonder what this guy's doing. Words to live by. P1 Crawdaddy, are you there? Yeah. Crawdaddy, you would bring back Cary Grant. Oh, yeah. Why? Why Cary Grant? Well, he's just a great actor. I mean. All the actors back then were awesome. I mean, women look better as well. Women look better? Women look better when he was around is what you're saying. Yeah. Yeah, okay. So, I bring back Lil' Eve, dude.
I don't know, Biggie. Biggie, dude. Yeah, great. Biggie, real good. That'd be real great. You know who I'd bring back? Simulator, who'd you bring back? Dude, I'd bring back Jen Kyrish, who used to be one of the vodka hands. Yeah, real good, dude, real fresh. The girl we used to know, we used to party with, all right? She'd come in, she'd be like, hey, vodka. She'd be smoking a cigarette, I'd be like, hey, what's up, gang? You know, I bring her back. You know why? Because she decided to have a kid. She didn't want to party anymore with a boy. Yeah, Gary, real good. You don't want to hang with your boy anymore? Thanks. Okay, great. Oh, we're all grown up now. So she's not even dead? She just had a baby? Yeah. Yeah, but she don't party with us anymore. She's real fresh. Real fun. Yeah, real sweet. Oh, Ashley just IM me. She'd bring back Gary. No! Ashley! That is rude! That is not rude! All right. We are out at K1 Speed, inviting you to come out. Oh, my. 6212 Corte del Abeto. Oh, it's going to be good. North County. North County. Hello. It's off Palomar Airport Road. Come on out and see us, because when we come back. What up? Yeah, yeah, Mike, what? Eddie looks. Ready. He looks ready. Is that what you were going to say? Ready? To me, he looks like he's ready to vomit. Yeah, yeah, ready to vomit. That's not what we're shooting for. Determined to sleep. That's right. He looks determined to sleep.
Oh, no. Come on, Eddie. The challenge will take place when we come back. Come on. Boston Rob is here. Eddie is here, and we will do this. I want to try sneaking a lap while we're in commercial. Love to see you come out here and do this up. We will be back with the race coming up next. It's Rock 105.3. The Mikey Show. Okay. All the way. The Mikey Show is on. Thank you. I think we're going to make a switch. No way. I don't know what you're talking about. Let me ask the P1 if they're cool with it.
He got hit in the head. He wins. Let me ask you a question. Are you guys okay with Mikey taking my place and racing B-Rob? Okay, well, they've spoken loudly. They all say yes. I think that's a great idea. I think it would be hysterical to watch myself. Look at that. Yeah, I mean, you cannot beat that. What is going on? You cannot beat that. Mikey in a go-kart. What do you think, Mike? He looks great. How are you feeling, bro? We're on. Come here. Eddie, I can't see so good over there. Is that Dale Earnhardt Jr.? Who is that coming over here? Look at you, you stud. Look at this guy. Oh, wow. You animal. Are your mic soft? Is my mic on? There it is. No, you're good. There's nothing going on in my headphones. It doesn't matter. What did you think? Dude, if you are, how are you, are you still? I just asked the people. I want to do it for me. You want to do it for me? Dude, let me do it for you.
I swear to God, dude. Let me do it for you. I'm telling you, Eddie, you shouldn't do this. You are sick. You are a sick man. I believe that you should be watching from afar. And if I win, it's because you have emblazoned me too. And if I lose, it's actually false. Okay, great. I don't want to let everybody down. I think it would be awesome to see you drive. Please let me do it. Let me do it. Well, I have a question. What? So there's a bet on the line. We have a great bet. I'll live up to the bet. I will live up to the bet. So I'm going to be on the line for his bet? No, no. I'll do it. I'll do it. And you'll do it? Yeah, I'll do the bet. And you'll pay off the bet. I'll pay it off. You still have to win, Mike. But I feel that I, wow, that's a lot of responsibility. A lot of pressure. That is a lot of pressure and a lot of responsibility. You're a fast driver. I want to do this. How did you feel on the course? Free. Did you feel like you got a good line going? Free. Well, listen, let me tell you. It's very exciting. Let me tell you. Very worked out for you. What's going on, dude? I have a question. What's your question? How many laps, practice laps, did V-Rob get to run? I don't know. We got like three or four. Three or four. Three or four. Okay, I got at least to run three or four. Yeah.
So I just want to feel like it's fair and that I got a chance to experience the track. I've actually been coming here all week, Mike. Okay, then. Rob? I've got to tell you, though, I have been practicing out on the railroad. Okay, that's ridiculous. Anytime I come up to a red light. Your PO is listening. Your PO is listening. Your PO is listening. Don't say that. Don't say that. I just got to hit the bar before we do this. I'll kick you in the... If you want me to, then I'll... Let's do this. Let's get this thing going. Now, how should we do it? Should we take a break and then come back? Well, I've got to suit you guys up, so I guess we'll take a break. Yeah, we've got to get all prepared and ready. In your fire-retarded suit. I am so excited to do this. Oh, my God. Me, too. M2. You're trying to strike me out. I'm not. You look good out there. I saw you. I can't tell. Who is that? Jeff Gordon? Is that Mike? I can't really see. Is that good out there? And then you're going so fast that I was like, well, it's just like a little dot going around the track. I have a question for Jeff Gordon. Where's Jeff Gordon? His name is actually Jeff Gordon, by the way. Oh, he's down with the other. A representative. Is there A representative? I just want to ask somebody that's in the know.
This gentleman can help us. This gentleman can help us. Hey, gentlemen. We are at K1 Speed right now, and we encourage you to come by and watch this race. Yes, please. You got to see this. I want to ask him what the cars are. Those are rad, man. I'm just going to race. Dude, going out there and getting to do that was rad. Jeff, that was cooler than I could have ever anticipated. You were flying out there. Dude. Okay, I got a question. I got a question. Am I going to flip over? No. I'm not going to flip over. You're not going to flip over. Okay, so even if I get that thing going up to speed, I'm not going to flip over. No. Okay, okay. He paused a second. The faster the better. It's not going to flip over. You can spin it out, but it isn't going to flip over. Okay, I got it. And does weight have anything to do with it? It's a driver's control. It's a driver's control. Okay, then let's do this thing. What about hair? Does hair affect it in any way? You're very aerodynamic. I'm worried. I just want to get everything out of the way before we start because if there's something that may hold me back, for instance, Rob is very handsome, I am not. So will that affect it? Is that a factor? Will that be a factor? Well, if IQ has anything to do with it, then... Okay, all right. Well, then hopefully I'll win. Okay, let's do this. Let's take a break. We're going to get in our head socks.
And then we're going to get behind those things. And we are going to race this sucker. Yeah, you are. Race it out. And we'll do it when we come back again. We're at K1 Speed. I'm fired up, man. I want to go back out there. I love it. I want to go back out there. All right. We'll be back. Come on. Make some noise out here. A few ones that have come to watch. We'll be back and do it up next. That thing is supposed to be like $69.95 or something. I think I got it out the door $28.50. I got it for $3,200 and then somebody else at another store beat up my price. You play those video games all the time. Wait a minute. I feel my boxers. I feel like my butt is exposed. Maybe I better get in the car. Are you trying to distract me, sexy? All right. It feels good. You settling in nice? This is so professional. This is awesome. I love this so much. Green flag after the first lap. Oh, so they're doing like a little test lap. Oh, a little warm-up. I'm nervous. Hey, Mike, seriously, spin them right out of the gate. What the heck?
That was my strategy. Can you bump draft? Are you allowed to bump draft? Yeah, sure. You do that. I'm getting out and chasing you. Yeah, but your legs are so small. It's a good point. Spin them. Send them into the wall. Into the wall, bro. Right into the wall. Wait, he's giving us directions, but I can't hear him. What? What? Huh? What? Hello? Okay. Lift up. Push this thing up, right? I have no idea what's going on. Oh, God. This is bad. This is the worst. Engine's on. I love this. Oh, oh, oh. They're moving out. There goes the pace car. He knows we're not racing yet, right? He's totally beating me, Rob. I'm just following the pace car, Rob. You're totally beating him. It's awesome. Oh, the lights just went out. This is good. Oh, now it's sexy. Make some noise for my replacement. Mikey's the best. Mikey's beating Rob. He's going to try to spin me. I know he is. Mike, you're doing really good. Don't let him. Are you getting scared, dude?
So, dude, when they get up to that starting line, they're going to drop that green flag, and then it's a go. Oh, my gosh. We're, like, literally 15 seconds away from the starting line. There you are. Eddie, how many laps are they doing? They're doing five laps. Five laps. He's slowing us down. He's slowing us down. Okay, yeah. And Mikey. This is great. Mikey's driving the number 33 sleep train car. Oh, perfect. So they're going to line up. They're going to line us up. Rob is in the number 28 dirtbag mobile. Oh. They're lining up. How do you guys feel? You guys ready to do this? You know it. Mike, you've got this, dude. You've got this. No, don't be nervous. You can do this. Five laps. Five laps of fury. Of fury? I guess. Okay, cool. I'm sick. So are we supposed to be watching this guy? Yeah, when he drops the great flag. Tell him we can't hear him. Hold on, we can't hear him. Yes. Please, let's do this. Give him the thumbs up, Mike. Come on, Mike. Mike, he's got this early inside. Oh, well, Rob just flew right by him. Oh, no. Oh, no. Come on, Mike. Rob is in the front. But Mike, he's trying to spin him. Yeah, he's inside line. Yeah, Mike. Rob's still in the lead, just barely. Rob in there, Mike. Ha, ha, ha, ha. It was quick, but I'm back in. Come on. He's spinning out. Yeah, he's killing him.
I'm coming up on this turn, though. Rob is very cold trickle. I can't tell. Is that my old Spanish grandmother behind me? Mikey's catching up. Mikey's catching up. He's about two car lengths behind. Yep, here we go. Come on, come on. Rob is taking those turns amazingly fast, which could be to his detriment. It's a little thing called Boston driving. What does that mean, Rob? I've got to get to the paggy, and I've got to get there quick. Here we go, here we go. Don't even bother about the brake, Mike. Just go. Yeah, there's no brakes on that thing. There aren't any brakes. There's brakes on this. Mike, just hit the wall. I didn't bother with the accelerator, though. Oh, Gabriel, more believe. Come on, dude. I want another shot at this. Come on, Mike. I think we are two or three left. Yeah, Mike. Wow. Come on, Mike.
Get a good line, dude. Get a good line. Well, Mike, if you lose, your friend Eddie is going to be humiliated. You're an awful person's side. Oh, I'm just saying. Please don't suppress on him. Please don't suppress on him. I'm just, I'm helping. I'm helping. Come on, Mike. My grandmother drives faster than that guy. Come on, dude. One lap left. Last lap. I don't know. It's virtually over. It's now waiting at Mike in a humiliating question. I'm telling you. Here they go. The winner of the race, Boston. Mike eventually finishes. Mike, the race is over. Mike, the race is over. It's like Mario Kart and I got King Koopa chasing me. Mike, the race is over. And now I got you.
and it doesn't even matter. I'm beating him, right? I'm beating him, the race isn't over. Sorry, I lost my headphone power. I lost my headphone power. I'm only now just able to listen. I won, I won. I won. Oh, boy. What happened? Mike, in your opinion, what happened? In my opinion, Rob raced better. That's an interesting fact. Rob, what do you think? What was the keys to your victory? Well, it's a lot. I got to contribute a lot to my driving racket in general. I got a lot of speeding tickets. From running from all the cops all those years, Rob. Not running from them, just, you know, giving them what they... Obviously, Mike, it was much harder than you thought it would be, right? Mike, you did great. It is, and it was. It is and it was. Okay. Let me walk back over. It's easy. It's easy. Oh, wow. You did great, Mike. He didn't, though. He didn't. He didn't, Ashley. Sky, why are you being like this? Well, I was just... Can I have T-Rex go in for me? I'm just being accurate. No, I mean, he really hung in there. It was cute. That's two out of three. It was cute. Yeah, two out of three. Endearing. Yeah, two out of three. With someone else driving for Eddie. I think you, Sky, at this point.
I'm just trying to be accurate for all the listeners at home. Hey, good effort, Mike. Hey, A for effort, bro. Can we get a hand for the competitors, please? Wow, Mike, that was really something, Mike. Really something, bro. Yeah, he's switching you back on right now. I love it. What do we got, Mike? What happens? Break it down. Listen, I gave it my best shot. That's all you can do, bro. The last lap was desperation. I spun out out of desperation. I was truly trying to make anything happen. The first few laps, I will say that I was trying to understand my body with the vehicle. I was trying to feel the track.
And then Rob was cheating. Rob was cheating. Rob was cheating? Was he videotaping you driving? Yes, he was cheating. How did he do that? He was taking performance-enhancing racing things. Oh, wow. Wow, that sounds really true. He was my boss. Yeah, he was. Yeah, he was. He put speed rockets on his car. Hey, listen, I did the best I could. You did? You gave it a valiant effort. I don't even want to hear that. What? It doesn't make me feel better. Eddie, I am very sorry that this did not work out the way that I would have intended it in the big picture. I wouldn't have intended it either. I would be healthy and be able to compete. I tell you what I would like to see. I would like to see Ashley and Sky race each other. Ashley, did you wear underwear today? Yeah, I did. Okay, that's good. There's a lot of... It's going to be stick marks. Out on the... He's wearing his dress. I see, I see. Well, the bottom line is that I don't know if the people that are here actually want to see that. Would you guys be interested in seeing Sky and Ashley race? Let's take a break, and we'll come back and try to convince them during break. It's Rock 105.3. Wow.

I'm having so much fun. Like, I'm not kidding. This has been one of the most fun broadcasts that we've ever done. And Rob is so... What? Dude! He's so... I'm about to cry, baby. That's all. He's so demeaning, Ashley. Demeaning? I said, yeah, valiant effort out there. It was a great run. I'm sorry you lost. Here's the deal. I told him, I said, you know, I could beat you if I had another chance, blah, blah, blah. And he's saying that he was taking it easy on me out there and all this stuff. And I believe that Rob was genuinely racing me. I was fighting for my life out there. I'm like, oh, no. You see? You see how demeaning that is?
Later on in the show, you know, we've got some time. It's not even 8 o'clock yet. Later on in the show, I would like to take another try at it. We should do a P1 party out here. Dude! I'm in. I'm 100% in. I love this place. This place is awesome. I'm going to be back. Are you guys going to race, Sky? No. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Skye always tells high school girls no means yes. You know, whenever she speaks at high school, that's her message. It'll make me feel better. How dare you? How dare you, little pouty face? She'll do it for me right next week. Hi, Eddie. Anything that makes you feel better? I can't ask you because she just agreed to do that for you. I want to ask somebody that's impartial. Rob. No, Rob's not impartial. He hates Ashley. Sean, Sean, who do you think, who are you going to put your Vegas odds on? Sky or Ashley? Don't do that. Oh, I know who's going to win. I think Sky is going to win. Well, Sky is a total lead foot. I mean, if you want to go with speed, you should go with Sky. However, you know, we have to remember that Ashley won the driving challenge. And she's reckless.
Thank you, Eddie. That's true. And probably drunk right now. I am told. I'm just telling you, I'm hammered right now. So that'll help. Can you please be competitive? Please. Like you are with me and Mikey. Sky, tell me, tell me, tell me. She doesn't want to. Sell me on you. Because I think you can do it. But tell me why. I don't care. Come on, don't do this. No, I don't know. I mean, I've like. The last time I was in a go-kart, it wasn't even like this, and it was probably like 15 years ago. It was when I was practicing to fly choppers, and it was totally different. It was a simulator. Sky, I got my money on you. I think you can do it. It's not a lot. I'll put like a quarter. Guys, the faster you go, the better for the environment. These things omit O3, which pushes out. Yeah, so you've got to go real fast. That's good. But, yeah. Very green. I mean, if we were on. Ashley just looked at me really confused with Rob's statements. That annoyed me. I don't know why. Because it came out of his mouth. Yeah, I guess. Well, if we were on the road and I was in my car, I'd say, no doubt, I got this. But I don't know. Let's take it outside.
Ashley, how you feeling? I'm all right. I mean, I'm going to give it my best, but I mean, I want to tell Sky right now that on the racetracks, you are not my friend. Okay. Whoa. It needs to be said. It needs to be because. Thank you, Ashley. No offense, when I get on that racetrack, you're going down, Sky. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, Ashley. It looks like you're out. Your neckline is going down. It's only when we're on the racetrack, though. When we're off, we're good. Everybody should watch out because there's concern about Ashley and her dress. Yes, there is. I'm going to have to put on, like, a full-on human diaper. Well, just, Ashley, try to keep in mind that there are G-forces at work out there. I wore a dress today, so I didn't know. I love that G-spot. That's what he said. That's what he said. That's not what he said. I heard him. It's tricky around the corner. We are. Oh, by the way, I want to point something out. I pulled faster lap times than Boston Rob. What does that mean? It means that I was quicker around the lap. So you won. Well, no, because it matters who comes in the finish line. Well, how could you have been quicker but came in last? Because on the last lap, I spun out.
But he was in front of you for the whole time. Well, there was a couple points where I slowed down and waved them on and said, hey, come on, hurry up, buddy. You arrogant little man. There's going to have to be a rematch. You arrogant little man. Hey, if I lost, I'd want a rematch, too. This guy is making me so upset. Maybe we make it even more interesting and add a couple P1s to the mix. He's getting crazy. He's getting crazy. I don't mind doing that, Eddie. I don't mind doing that. But first, I want him by myself. Okay, okay. I've won him by myself. Again? Wow, this is getting good. How dare you? I hate when he laughs at me like that. It's so condescending. It's so condescending. Yeah, it really is. I was... Oh, this guy's so delighted by it. This guy's so delighted by it. She is. She's been against you from the beginning. She has. You mean since the beginning of our relationship, right? Well, since the beginning of time, really. Yeah, I died from 1998. That's when it all started. Okay. Sky, for this one time, I want you to pull for me. I want you to pull for me this next race. But everybody's pulling for you. No one's pulling for B-Rob. That's not true. That is not true. B-Rob, I got T-Rex on my side, but besides that. Everyone with a microphone is pulling for you, Mike. Whatever. So I think Rob needs a little love. You're a bitch. I appreciate that. Hey. I'm sick. I'm sorry. It's the men's talking. It's the flu. It's the Alka-Seltzer. All right, well.
Eddie, what should we do? How should we do this? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. First of all, let me thank the folks that brought the food out here this morning. Dude, there is a company called Restaurants on the Run. Now, the great thing about this is that they offer a bunch of different restaurants. You go online, you order the food, they deliver it to your house. It's one of the most amazing things because, as a matter of fact, my wife and I, we used to do this. Had a falling out with the company. Don't use them anymore. And it's too bad because I've always said, I've always wanted to be able, and there was no competition. Well, there is now. And they're good. And the website is www.rotr.com. It stands for restaurants on the run, one-stop shop, hundreds of restaurants to choose from. They don't just deliver dinner. They deliver breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Any size order. Delivery is $9.99. And you earn reward points on every order. So I'm telling you, if you are busy and you are at home and you got the kids and your husband's coming home and maybe you don't want to do the cooking or maybe you're a dude and you just got off work and you're tired but you want good food. Or maybe you're just sitting at home.
and you're going, you know what, I really feel like eating some claim jumper right now. Ooh, scrumptious. I just, oh, man, I don't want to get up and drive down there, and I can't have it. Plus the weight. Exactly, man. Do this. The website is www.rotr.com. I 100% fully endorse this company, Restaurants on the Run. R-O-T-R dot com. Wow. I'm telling you, man, I was so pleased to hear that it's available because and it's one of those deals where you go, wow, how could this not have been going on sooner? It's such a cool deal to be able to have that kind of convenience. right at your house. This is really a happy day for you, Mike. I've really been happy. This is a really good day for you. It really has been. I mean, racing and restaurants and, yeah. Hey, Mike, they also just handed me a note and said that here at K1 Speed, it's only 15 bucks for races for P1s until 11 a.m. Are you serious? Yeah, so that's a huge deal. I would come out here and race if you want to. That's awesome. All right, so people, there's still time to come down here.
We got a lot. Just to give you an idea of how many P1s are here, make as much noise as you can. Make a bunch of noise, P1s. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We need more, so come on down. We need to represent right now. Plus, Sky and Ashley are going to race next. Yeah, I need to be cheered on. I'm nervous. Ashley says that her and Sky are good friends off that racetrack. Best friends, actually. You should have heard this girl in the bathroom. So we go to use the restroom because, you know, we're nervous and we want to get it out of the way. And Ashley goes, F you, Skye. Skye, did you fart? And the gal here goes, oh, you're nervous because everybody's going to be watching you? And then Ashley launches into their thing. Oh, no, I'm so used to that. People watch me. Ah, yes. Yes, Ashley. It's so true, Ashley. It's so true. Ashley at the time was sitting on the toilet. She goes, oh, it's not an American Idol, okay? I don't really think I'm that nervous right now, all right?
Anyway. Yes. Please. So, let's. That's an intimidation factor. Ashley was standing up. Rob. Did that joke fall flat? No one got that? No one got that? No one got that? Thank you, Eddie. Thank you. A bunch of blind faces. Never mind. Let's think about it, you guys. Let's take a break. Even if standing up, Rob, you should right now. That would really help your pain. Not again. The joke's only funny when he's standing. He actually is standing up. When he's standing is what you say. But anyway. Yeah, well, anyway. Let's take a break. When we come back, Sky and Ashley are going to race. Oh, my gosh. Ashley, borrow Mikey's gloves. I support Sky. No way. Ashley, all the way. I support you. Oh, no. I'm in on you. Ashley, no way. All right, let's take a break. We'll be back. It's Rock 105.3. 5.3. The official home of the Mikey Morning Show. After a little while, I figured out, okay, there's something funny going on here. IOC San Diego's Rock. Hey, it's Mikey for Amco. I'm the type of person that likes to know exactly what I'm going to get before I get into it. It's why I always, whenever I'm doing any kind of endorsement, I always check them out before I pass it on to you, the P1s. I'm telling you, you can trust Amco. When you go into Amco, they will diagnose an engine light problem before you ever have to pay for it. It's free for them to diagnose it. They're not going to fix anything that isn't broken.
And don't forget the fact that AMCO does transmissions, brakes, oil changes. Now, you may be saying to yourself, why AMCO? Why would I go to AMCO and not take it to the dealership? Well, first of all, the experience. The experience in the database. They hook up with all these other AMCOs with guys that know exactly what problems are going on. And when they experience something that they don't know about, which isn't often, they can go on there and figure it out. Amco is the only place you want to go. It's Amco. Double A. Beep, beep. Thank you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. It's still very tough on our freeway here this morning. We've got to the 805 northbound, especially tough from Market Street all the way into North Park, Mission Valley, and then crawling up the hill from Mesa College up towards Claremont Mesa Boulevard. An accident here really caused a mess on that freeway this morning. That, in turn, has really affected your 805, make that your West 94 commute, trying to get to the 805. That's backed up now from Federal, solid, all the way into downtown. West 8 is seeing a heavier ride here as well, coming out of La Mesa from Jackson Drive all the way in past the queue. to Mission Center Road, and you've got South by the 15, so slow and go from the 78 down past Fiorancho Parkway. Heavy traffic again at Arancho Bernardo all the way down to Mercy Road in Poway before it lets you loose. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. Now back to the Mikey Show. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Remote Broadcast Thingy, it's another Eddie and B-Rob Challenge live from K1 Speed in Carlsbad. Here again, Mikey. Make noise, B1s. Come on. You're too old. Told you she was standing up. It's inappropriate over here. Wait a minute. I gotta get, wait a minute. Wait, am I pressing on this? Oh no, you don't even. Oh yeah, we're already all in mode. But is that the gas? It's up, yeah, I'm up. Hang on a second, sorry, sorry guys, sorry. Listen, this is all on the fly. We are live out at K1 Speed. And we are about to watch.
Ashley and Skye compete with each other on the track. And we got a ton of P1s here. Where are the blinkers? Oh, I love it. I love it. Ashley's wearing a dress. And a diaper. What is the diaper? I had to make a diaper with a shirt. This thing has a little giddy up. It goes 40 miles an hour. Oh, this is rad. They are following a pace car right now onto a twisty. Pick up the pace, pace car. On a twisty, windy track. And I'm trying to figure out which one's Ashley. Ashley's in front. Ashley's in front. There she is. She's waving. She's the one where you can see her vagina. When I was putting my diaper on, listeners are taking pictures. It's pretty awesome. Your diaper is pretty appropriate. Sky is behind her. What up? And they are both mics. That's why you're able to hear them. And they are in these little go-karts. And they are going through S-turns right now. You've got to picture a gigantic warehouse. with S-turns all throughout this gigantic warehouse. This is a little different than you guys, how you were, you know, your attitudes towards wrestling. I know it. They're like, choo-choo! Hey, Ashley, don't forget, she's not your friend on the racetrack, all right? Oh, for sure. I hate her right now. Whoa! There you go. Skye, no offense. All right, now, they're going to... I hate your guts right now. I love it, Ash. I love it. Oh, there it is! That's that competitive fire. That's the competitive fire. I love it.
Now, they are pulling them up to a... I'm in my lucky number, Mike. What they do is... Ashley's in the kudzu number 18. 18. What a kudzu? It rhymes with mud. All right. Now, Skye is positioned a little ahead. Is that allowed? Yes, it is. She's on the outside. It's because you're on the outside, Ashley. You're on the... Making sure there's no shenanigans going on. Shenanies. So, when do we go? You watch the green flag. Five, four, three, two, one, go. All right. And they're off. And Skye, because she's on the outside, obviously had a... Oh, they're bumping and drafting already. Wow. Ashley has her. Ashley spins out. Oh, no. Skye slams into her. Later. Now Skye is cruising around her. Skye is now like eight. Eight. Skye, I'm so glad I have my money on you. Hey, Ashley's already catching up. I'm coming after you. Ashley is chasing her. You curly red-headed woman. Ashley is right on her tail. She just butt dropped the sky. Oh my goodness, this is such a great race. Oh my God, you've got to see these guys. Ashley just passed her. She got the sky out of the way. Faster. Don't spit out again. Ashley is so far ahead of the sky. You've got nothing on me. What is she talking about? That was the worst.
I'm scared. I'm not kidding you. Ashley's on one end of the warehouse. Skye's on another. She's going to laugh her. She will not laugh me. And Ashley spun out. Yeah, Ashley spun out and Skye was like, see a sucker. Was about, was easily 10 times. What do I got? What do I got? Holy cow. There goes Ashley again. What do I have to go? No hands. Oh, she's almost spinning out. Oh my God. This is crazy. Skye, go faster, you guys. Yeah. Dude, that's a loser. She has almost laughed. I'll take on Jeff Gordon's ass. What's up? Sweet cow. This is too much. This was the name of the contest. I'm not kidding. I think Ashley is going to blow away our fastest lap times. I think so too. She's killing it. This is the worst. I told you she was reckless. Dude, they are nearly on opposite sides. Winner. On opposite sides of the warehouse. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Easy as whatever. Holy cow. Guys, make noise for Ashley. You are the worst. I am awesome. You are truly the worst. I have to go again? Honestly, I hate this. It was so stupid. Seriously, it looked like Sky was on a Sunday drive. It is beautiful in here. It is beautiful in here. But I'm used to being driven, you know. Yeah, this would have been a lot better if my black man servant was in front of me doing this all for me. Oh, my white man servant. Oh, my God. How's it going over there? I'm going to try to describe this as best I can for those of you listening.
Ashley was flying around that track. And that, again, was after she spun completely out in the first part of the race. And to add insult to Skye's injury, as she was passing by all the spectators, you know, when she would come by the finish line, as she would pass by, she would give everybody the peace sign. It was unbelievable. It was unbelievable. So what are you thinking now? Dude, I want Rob one more time. I want Rob one more time. If he beats me, he beats me, but I want one more shot at the title. Wow. I want one more shot at the title. I'm telling you. You got this, dude. This time, though, this time, they don't need, you guys don't need to mic us or do any of that. Why don't we just, we'll come back and you guys just call the action. All right, we'll take a break. All right, let's take a break. We'll come back. I'm going to rematch Rob. He says that he's not getting in. That he was like... I think it's adorable, Mike. Let's go. I hate you. Let's do this. Let's do this. When we come back, me and B-Rob rematch. It's Rock 105.3. Listen, we are having a blast. Make noise out here, P1s. Let everybody know you're here. I'm telling you, man, this has been so much fun. I have enjoyed myself so much out here. And P1s are racing around and getting to do their thing. And I'm going to rematch with Boston Rob right now. And the winner will get Ashley. Oh, my gosh. For the Mikey Show Championship. For the Mikey Show Championship. Let me tell you, I really want to get her lap times because she was pulling fast.
She was killing it. She was crazy. It might have just been because Skye was going so slow. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I'm your only supporter. I'm your only supporter. With all due respect. Yeah, nothing personal. Are we ready to go? Can we go out there and race it up? And race it up. Yeah, as long as you guys are, yeah. They're ready? Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, guys. Call the action. No problem. I hate how condescending Rob is. Dude, you need to shut that guy up. Dude, they've got bumpers on those things. They're like bumper cars. Bump him. Wow, that was your strategy, huh? Yeah, for sure. Bump him the hell out of your way. When you got hit the first time, what was going through your head? I don't like this. That's what was going through my head. No more. No thank you. No thank you. Yes, I confused. Ashley slammed into Skye so hard. Like when I? Well, she was in my way. It was like Dale Earnhardt all over again. I thought Skye, we were going to have to like...
peel her out get the jaws of life like when i hit her it was totally unintentional and it was like sure it was and she just rammed for me actually was crazy dude she is a crazy person it was like that that was you had no fear like no you weren't scared at all not at all that's awesome yeah of her yes Yes, I broke a nail. I did. I did. And I slammed my hand and it hurt. You really did? Yeah. That's pathetic. How did you slam your hand? Because you rammed into me and my hand went flying. Oh, no. Into the, like, thing. Well, I didn't mean for that. Wow. Yeah, great. Really, we're all winners here because we basically got to see Ashley's uterus. Yeah, that's true. That is true. Pretty cool. Straight up the back of your head. It was a lot of fun. Yeah, that's better than anything. So, Mikey and Rob are now putting on their helmets. They've decided to go un-miked because... Mikey felt like that distracted him. That slowed him down. They're not going to be Mike. They're going to get in, and I think Mikey wanted to be, I believe, in the outside lane. Yeah, Mike is really pathetic, right? No, you don't need to say that. That's not necessary. That's not necessary. But he's making excuses already. Like, oh, I got to be on the outside.
Guy, you shouldn't be making fun of anybody. I'm not. I do. I own up. She killed me. And I don't want to do it again because she killed me again. How great is it going to be that Ashley takes on the winner in this race? It's a win-win, you guys. If it's Ashley versus Mikey, that's hysterical. If it's Ashley versus Rob, they're going to kill each other. Either way, it's going to be fantastic. Someone's going to die today. Someone may die. Yeah, I don't doubt it. You got that Hans device on? You need it. Seriously. All right, they're getting their pre-race instructions right now. Another five laps of fury. I love it. And hopefully, Mikey won't get lapped again. Mm-mm. What happened in that first race? I don't know. He was very tentative, and I think he hit every corner in the first lap. Well, it's weird because these things don't have power steering, and I was expecting it. Power steering? Power steering.
Very low-class go-karts. That is unfortunate. You needed some muscle to turn those things, and it made me, you know, hesitant. Well, I was irritated they didn't have cruise control, because it's like, once I got to that certain point, I just wanted to just push the cruise. Well, you were going no hands at one point. So much more convenient, you know? I think that was pretty interesting. Yeah. All right, they're getting into their cars. Mikey's getting in the first one. Rob getting in the second one. Oh, okay. This should be interesting. Mike's going to get killed again. No, don't say that. What? Do you really think that's going to happen? Of course. Why? That's why I said it. Why? Why do you say that? Did you not watch the first race? Yeah, it was terrible, but Mike knows what he's doing now. Eddie, what do you think would happen if me and Ashley raced together? Okay, well, that's the same thing. Well, no. He didn't lose by as much as you lost. He did. Well, pretty close. No. I'm just saying. You're a bad person. I'm just stating that. We're getting the lap car ready. They're going to, I believe, do a jaunt around the course. Yeah, a warm-up. A little warm-up. What I would give to see Sean race one of these. Oh, my gosh. What does that just mean? Well, I mean.
I just think it'd be interesting. Oh, Sean, I don't know why she's saying that. I'm sorry, Sean, why is she going after you? That's awful to say. I just think it'd be fun to watch someone three sizes bigger than the car try to get in the car. He's not three sizes. That's not nice. I'm sorry, Sean. I believe you're a handsome human being. Sean, don't read anything into that. Don't take it personally. Okay, the cars are off. Mike is in front, and they're doing their lap around, little pace lap. This is so cool. Pick up the pace, Mike, really. Hey, they're doing a pace lap. I'm just saying. Please calm down. All right, they're getting ready to go. I'm fascinated to see who's going to take the inside line and who's going to take the outside line here. Does it matter, Eddie? It kind of does. It kind of does, yeah. I mean, if you are a good racer, there's a specific line you're going to want to take around the thing. It'll make your lap faster. But you didn't care. You basically went through everything and didn't really care, which was impressive. That's pretty crazy, girl. So this, again.
The winner of this race will take on Ashley for the Mikey Show Championship. This is really intense. It is. Yeah. You better get your diaper ready. I know. No, your real diaper. Okay, so here we go. Mikey is in the AIS number seven car. Yep, yep. Does Rob do any endorsements? Schmitty's or something. Oh, yeah. Rob is in the Schmitty's Smithwicks. Smithwicks. Smithwicks number eight. Okay. So this is going to be an awesome, awesome race. Mikey's going for the outside lane. Interesting. Was that different from last time? I don't remember. Yeah, yeah, they were opposite last time. I'm sick. Okay. All right, Mikey's on the outside lane. Rob is in the inside lane. Oh, man. Rob is showing his muscles. This is weird. And he's getting ready to go. Mikey, steal concentration. Oh, oh. He's taking this very soon. Here's the announcement. Wow. Whoa, whoa. You're going on the green flag. Whoa. In five, four, three, two. Mikey actually has the lead. Mikey has the lead early on. Rob is coming up on him real closely. We got some bumping. We got some bumping going on. Rob almost spun out. Oh, man. Oh, Mike's already losing it. No, he still got. Oh, he hit the wall. Well, Mikey just hit the wall. Yeah, Rob is way out in the lead once again. But Mikey, he's not giving up this time.
He's jamming. Oh, he's really behind. He's taking straightaway really fast. See, Rob has a great line out of that straightaway. He knows how to go wide. It's all about the line. See how he goes wide? So he's not going to spin out when he takes that corner real quick. Mikey's actually catching up. This isn't as big of a blowout as it looked like. Well, I just lied. How come Rob is so much better than Mike? Rob is pretty fearless around the corners. Is that the thing? Look at the difference in speed around the corners. That'll tell you everything. Okay, so Rob does not slow down. Rob does not slow down. Rob does not know that there's a brake on that thing. There shouldn't be, really. I found the brake unnecessary when I was driving. Oh, boy. This is, again, this is another slaughter. Rob is half a racetrack in front of him. Oh, that little man is going down. Well, you don't need to insult him. He's going down! Wow. Yeah, this isn't even close. I wish I could make it more exciting for everyone, but it's really not. It's not there. It's an unbelievable... Yeah, it was over a long time ago. I really should have picked you, Ashley. If I would have known, I would have. I really thought Mike was going to be good at this. He's really not, though. Well, Sean, you were mentioning something about his video game skills.
Well, you know, I mean, every time he plays a game that has an emotion involved, he throws up. Yeah. Oh, that's a good point. Did he take his family? No. This is not even good. Now we're into the final lap of the race. Rob is a half a... Half a track ahead of Mikey. I wonder what he's going to say after this. For Mike? Yeah. What can you say, dude? I don't know. I wouldn't say anything. Is he going to admit that he's not going to do this? Well, last time you blamed the headphones and the... Which is total crap. Yeah, yeah. Rob should stop. Like, right now, just stop. Rob could spin out, reject, start again, and still... There he goes, and the winner again. Rob Stevens. Boston Rob takes it. I'll let you know when Mikey finishes. We've gone a while. And now he's across. He's acting like he won. I don't know. Does he think that he passed him at some point? Maybe he thinks that. No, Mike. No cheering. He thinks he won. That's weird. This is embarrassing. Really embarrassing. Well, sometimes when you take gramamine, you get confused. Bottom line is, Ashley, you finally get your wish. Yes.
versus Boston Rock on the racetrack. That's going to be ugly. Yes, that's going to be ugly. Yes, gimme, gimme, gimme. Talk to me about your strategy a little bit. Gimme, gimme, gimme. I'm going to ram the hell out of you. Wow, okay. That's in my way. Geez. End of story. Well, you know, they do have caution flags and things like that. What flag? What? Remember? Go flag, I know. Yes. And then there's a stop flag at the end. Well, that's a checkered flag. It's called the checkered flag. Forget it. Okay. Okay, Mike, I don't know what you're hearing. Why are you being victorious right now? You got destroyed. Mike, you lost. Big time, buddy. Well, what can you do? Deep waiting. Okay, well. We all pretty much knew what was going to happen. The P1s are in stunned silence. They don't know what the hell to think. Embarrassing. Oh, wow. It's really out. There's probably 70 people here that are all just looking on going, what the hell was that? What was that? Wait, we need to wake some of them up. Did we really just show up for this? We need to wake some of them up. Okay. Oh, boy. Let me get in there. Let me get some P1s over here. Taylin, come here. Taylin, we want to talk to you. Let me get your opinion. What is your opinion on what you just saw? I think that...
Mikey just lost pretty bad. That's not an opinion. That's a fact. Here comes Mikey. Here comes B. Rizzy. What happened? What happened? I didn't get to see. You had your eyes closed the whole time? Yes, I'm closing my eyes. All right, let's now talk to the racers. First, we'll speak to... Second place finisher, Mike. Second place. Not bad. I was in the top two. I was in the top two. I was in the top two. Okay, now what happened there? You said you were confident you were going to destroy him. Yeah, yeah. One time I was introducing Judy Collins at a winery. I do remember this. I like where this is going. It was about 20 years ago. I was there. And before I walked out on stage to introduce Judy Collins, I had urinated and it was all over my pants and I had to go out on stage and still introduce Judy Collins. And up to that point in my life, that was easily the most embarrassing moment in my life. Yeah, that sounds humiliating. Until today. Yeah. Until today. Can't blame you. That was a rough one. I will admit it. I've been told.
I put in faster lap times than before, and I still lost. You lost by half a track. Let's see if we can get those numbers. I don't know. I lost by half a track. Here's the good news. We actually get to see Ashley versus Rob on the racetrack. To me, it's going to be like World Warrior. After the humiliation that I just felt, I am going to be rooting for Ashley like never before. I call inside track and my same card. I call first place. Can you do that? Can you do that? The guy's name is Jeff Gordon. You don't have to call him Gordon. Wow, Rob. How dare you? That thing couldn't go fast enough. I put my brake leg up. I rest it because he needs a lot of rest. I don't use it at all. And the other one, you can't look at him. But he's your good friend. I can't look at him like best friends. You're taking me home today. It's like your little brother. I'm not. When we come back, how would you guys like to hear us call the Ashley B-Rob race? And this will be for the championship, right? Are we going to do that when we come back? Are we going to do something before that? Or can we do it when we come back? We can do it when we come back. All right, let's take a break. When we come back from break, Ashley versus Rob for the Mikey Show championship.
We are having so much fun out here, and we'd love to see people come out and hang out with us. This has been one of the most fun mornings. K1 Speed in Carlsbad. We'll be back. It's Rock 105.3. In the spirit of value and adventure, we at BevMo are excited to offer you our top 10 wines for under $10. Simultaneously, we're also offering our top 10 wines under $20, as well as our top 10 wines under $30. Now, this may be confusing, so listen carefully. Our top 10 wines under $30 do not include our wines under $20 and $10, even though both $10 and $20 are less than $30. So, to be more precise...
We at BevMo are offering top 10 wines under $10, top 10 wines under $20, but more than $10, and top 10 wines under $30, but not under $20, and certainly not under $10. So what we really should have called this promotion was BevMo's top 30 great wines under $30, a third of which are under $20, but more than $10, and an equal amount being under $10. We apologize for any confusion, and we sincerely hope this clears things up. Come in today, and don't miss Bev Moe's Top 10 Wines event going on now. Hey, I want to let you know I just bought a new truck through a local dealership, and I had never had insurance before. And if I would have went with the insurance that they offered, I would have been paying $1,500 a year, so I figured I'd check out AIS. I got the same coverage through AIS for like $400 and change. Are you serious? That's for the whole year. I couldn't believe it. Oh, dude, I love hearing it. I can't thank you enough, man. Now I can actually make my payment.
1-800-777-4AIS. It's 1-800-777-4247. That is so great, dude. I'm really happy for you. And I mean, for people that are listening right now that have heard me talk about AIS and have not called yet because they're like, it must just be those people or whatever. What would you say to people that have not called about AIS yet? I would say it's for real. Check it out. Yep. It worked for you, right? Worked for me. Thanks a lot, man. It worked for Tom. It can work for you. I appreciate you calling in, Tom. 1-800-777-4247. It's AIS. Tell them that I told you to call. I guarantee you, you're going to be so happy. That guy's the biggest dork on the planet. I'm telling you, man. Jeez. I don't know what to make of that guy. KIOZ. San Diego's rock. Mycricket.com slash San Diego. Live from the cricket wireless remote broadcast thingy, this is a Mikey Show field trip. It's another Eddie and B-Rob challenge. Live from K1 Speed in Carlsbad. Here again, Mikey. Mikey Show. And we are back at K1 Speed in Carlsbad. And I'm telling you, man, this stuff is too much fun. It is 841. A federal advisory panel announced yesterday that they recommend a flu vaccine for all children.
Carolina Panthers cut quarterback David Carr and re-signed Mushin Muhammad. I'm going to tell you right now, Ashley is going to have her work cut out for her. Why do you say that? Did you see how crazy she was, though? Yeah. I was just looking at lap times. Oh, no good. Well, it wasn't bad. What do we got? It wasn't bad. Let's talk the stats. It's not bad. It's just that Rob is fast. Yeah. Because he weighs two pounds. I mean, when he's in that thing. That is true. He's like a little feather. It is. It's like, you know, it's not really fair because, you know, he's so tiny. He's so teeny. But here are the results. Ashley's fastest lap, 33.03 seconds. Nice. Okay. Rob's fastest lap, 30 seconds exactly. Wow, so a full three seconds faster. Full three seconds faster. But here's what you've got to take into account. What? Ashley's crazy. That is true. And she will ram you, Skye. Talk about it. It was the worst. I mean, I still have trauma. I may have to go to the ER after this. I did a chip and nail, and there's a little ouchiness happening around the finger. Eddie, would you like to hear what Skye's fastest lap was? I would love to. Oh, shut up.
Skye's fastest lap pulled out there was 40.85 seconds. Well, I was trying to keep it suspenseful for the listeners. That is fantastic. Really trying to entertain and keep it going. Which doesn't compare to her slowest lap. What? It was a 54.27 second lap. That's a good one. That's a good one. That's a slower one there. That was a bit slower. Wow. I can't wait to see Rob and Ashley do this because they are so competitive with one another. Yeah. They are so competitive, fiercely competitive. Oh, yeah. And they have a genuine dislike for each other. That is true. Especially Ashley. Ashley hates his gun. She really does. I don't know why. Well, I think it's because... There's a lot of theories out there. Well, there's a lot of theories out there. Yeah, there's stuff. You know, I just did something called self-edit. They call it self-edit. Yeah, I'm doing one right now. Yeah, that's probably a good idea, Mike. Yeah, what it is is it's called BTMF, Sky. It's BTMF. That is the brain-to-mouth filter. Well, she can't hear us now, but we know. I can hear you just fine. Oh, there she is. Hi, honey. Hi, sweetheart. You're going to kick butt. There's a little American Idol over there. Hey, you are right. Isn't she pretty? Okay. Kill him.
Well, Ashley is going to be driving, and she's wearing a dress. My reservoir tip is covering my eyes. She calls it a reservoir tip, Eddie. It's a head sock. It's a head sock. That's a good way to put it. It's a fire retardant. Head rubber is what it is. Hey, you don't have to call it names, dude. All right. So what we're going to do is they are strapping on their head condom. Yes, they are. It's a head rubber. That's right. And now they're putting on their helmets. This looks so funny. A chicken in a dress and a guy that weighs less is standing next to her. Jay, I want to say thank you to Jay from Promotions. You guys done an amazing job helping us out out here. And Smashley, thank you. This is a bad sign, Mike. I'm not in my lucky cart. What is she talking about?
She wanted to use the same car. No, she's not going to be fine. It's my lucky cart. 18 is my lucky number. What cart number are you in now? 27? What is that even about? I don't know. Nothing that I like. Look at that diaper. Oh, my God. This is so awkward. So, wait a minute. Sky, what is the diaper for? Why is she? So, when the dress flies up, you don't see any stuff. The jewels. The jewels? Her Britney Bieber. She doesn't want you to see the Britney. Do not compare me to that. All right. All right, Ashley and Rob both have microphones in their helmet. I want you to know that during commercial, I overheard Ashley saying to engineering and to promotions, we need to be mic'd. Everyone can hear me talking crap to Rob. Guys, we got to be mic'd, okay? Hey, Mario, whatever your name is. Mario? Whatever. Trevor. Right, right. Anyway, get me mic'd. Okay. Look, I'm a celebrity. I need it, okay? Yeah. It would sound better for listeners, Sean. Yeah, totally. And it would make me sound better to me. Maybe you would think it's funnier and more entertaining since you can't see me racing, Sean. Maybe that would be the case. One lap. But anyway, yeah, I'm a celebrity, that's why. Excuse me, Lever, where is the green room? It's Trevor. Yeah, with a T. It's definitely not Lever. Whatever, whatever. Trevor.
She's like lashing out at everyone. She's really become mean. I mean, she really has. I'm still cheering for her, though. Her character is mean. Okay, so what they're going to do is, just like last time, five laps, they're going to have a pace car, and the two of them are going to follow the pace. The interesting thing is, Rob weighs as much as the character Pacey. from the TV show Dawson's Creek. Thank you. You mean when he was first born? Yes, when Pacey was first born. Right, yes. So, I thought Pacey was a girl. What is going on? No, Pacey, Pacey's a guy. You gotta press the gas to go. I tried to save you, though. You did a good job. Hey, we're doing one lap and then we're gonna line up. Oh, no one told me, idiot, so I didn't know. I was trying to tell you. You just got a attention span of a gnat. No one told me. All right, Ashley is... Ashley is going very slow, and Rob is going very slow. I'm going as fast as I can. There we go. Yeah, there we go. Come on, baby. Finally. Pick the hell up, baby. I have a feeling. I'm telling you guys right now. I have a feeling. What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? Rob is going to smoke. No, dude. I think there's going to be a crash. Yeah. Oh, she's going to try to wreck him? Someone's going to get hurt. Yeah. Rebel, turn two. All right, so they're dimming the lights for us. Does she have her Hans device on? I hope so.
Oh, boy. In this case, it's called a diaper. She's going to take the inside. Whoa, whoa. Whoa, what just happened? Ash is taking the outside track. She cut right in front of Rob. Almost killed him. Rob is on the inside. She'll take another whiskey sour before we do this. Ashley's on the outside. Just had one drink to calm the nerves. Here we go. All right, they are off. I'm so nervous. And Rob is in. Ashley's in the lead, but Rob has already passed her. And he's trying to get around her. He can't get around her. He cannot get around her. Now he just... Rob is not leading. Ashley is leading. And she is flying around the turns. Rob is coming through an S-turn right now. He's about two car lengths behind. Ashley spins but regains control. They're coming through another S-turn. This is more competitive than I thought. Rob tried to bump draft her, but it didn't work. He's still behind.
He's coming up behind her. Ashley is flying through these turns. She is beating him right now. He's trying to work his way around her. This is as competitive a racing as I've seen. He did bump her out of the way. He bumped her out of the way. And she spun a little bit in a turn, so now she's got to regain control. Maybe you should have laid off the Holos and Twinkies. Yeah, whatever. Well said. You got her. Oh, Ashley spun out again. When I beat you, Mike. Ashley spun out again. Ashley, what are you thinking right now? Oh, no. Oh, wow. She is. What did she say? She said, yeah, never mind. You stupid man. I can't hear on my headphones. They are now on lap number three, I believe. Hey, I'm waiting for you, sweetheart. Hurry up. I hate you so much right now, you stupid ass. Rob has really developed a lead. He is probably a good. He's killing me. 10. Stupid man. Oh, bad run. Ashley just slammed into the wall. She's crazy. She's crazy. I'm sorry. She is. See, I don't think it's fair, though, because, you know, Rob weighs less. He's so much smaller. You want me to wait for her? That's so rude. Yeah, wait for her, Rob. Rub it in. Stop, Rob. Rub it in. I got time.
Rob is coming around. He's coming around to the white flag. He's stopping. He's slowing down for her. He's slowing down for her. Now he's sped back up. She's chasing him like a little sister. Wait for her, Rob. Don't be a jerk. Rob is slowing down. He's slowing down just enough to tease her and toy with her. She's moving her way through the S-turn, but she can't do it. There's no way she can catch up. I hate him. Here he comes into the final turn. Rob turning into the final turn. Wasn't even close. No, it wasn't. Here comes Rob. Let's hear it for Rob at the victory lane. We finally found something he's good at. Look out. Oh, no. Ashley's trying to chase him at the very end. She's bump drafting him towards the very end. It's over. They're going to slow the cars down. I hate you. You idiot. That was great. You little man, you. That was great. We'll talk to them when they get back in here. Oh, that was fantastic. So as it turns out, Rob's pretty good at this racing stuff. Pulled some pretty fast laps while he was out there and overall did pretty good. I can't wait to hear. Look at Ashley. She's so deflated. She's so upset. Ashley. When they get in here, we'll ask them what happened. We'll wait until they get all taken out of their uniforms. Her diaper. I've never seen a girl racing in a dress.
Yeah, that is different. That's fantastic. All right, now Mikey versus Sky. No. Oh, forget it. No, I'm done. Yeah, me too. Dude, if you can't beat Sky. I'm telling you, that was such a fun experience. If you have never done this before, I'm telling you, this K-1 speed out in Carlsbad, this was so much fun. Yeah, it was a great time. I wonder if I could get my wife to do this. I don't know. You think she would? Maybe. I would like to get her to. Let's talk about some stuff going on in the news. We'll take a quick time out. When we come back, we're going to fill you in on all kinds of things that are happening out there, give you some audio that we've missed this morning. We are live at K1 Speed, and we'll be back. It's the Mikey Show on Rock 105.3. This is the Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts at rock1053.com. They say you can tell a lot about people just by looking them in the eye. Well, the same is true when it comes to diamonds. this is tom shane and as a direct diamond importer we go straight to the diamond cutters in antwerp and tel aviv and look at every diamond with our human eye individually one at a time evaluating its color cut and clarity we go to such lengths while many other jewelers order their diamonds from a computer sight unseen because ours is the only possible way to select those diamonds with superior sparkle and brilliance
Also, it allows us to avoid the middleman markups, markups you'll pay at those other jewelers. That's why you always get a finer diamond for a lower price at Shane Company. Got this email. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that... They made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest World Class Lush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. Two days ago.
That's awesome. Yeah, man. My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris plush. She really deserves a good mattress to sleep on, and I can't wait to sleep on it with her. Signed, P1 Norfus. You want that to be your story? Sleep trains are everywhere. Check one out today. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep... train mattress centers. Oh, finally seeing a better-looking ride in the freeways right now. Okay. South 15, grooving out of Escondido, but still slow out of Rancho Bernardo down into Poway. Right around Mercy Road, it lets you loose. West 8, you're good to go. The 94 King Freeway looking clear finally. 805 northbound, still backed up from the 163 out of Kearney Mesa. Heading up over the 52 and northbound 5, also seeing a busier ride here past the airport in the Mission Bay. Don McLawrence on Rock 105.3. I'm K1 Speed in Carlsbad. I'm brought to you by Cricket Wireless. This is a Mikey Show field trip with another Eddie and B-Rob Sports Challenge. Now live from the pits, here's Mikey. Pictures. Mike is now sitting back down. Oh, third place trophy, Mike. Third place out of two? What does that happen? Third place out of two. That is terrible. It's terrible. Ashley, what happened out there?
I was not in my lucky cart, which I think immediately jinxed me. Because cart number 18, that's my number. But putting that aside, Rob, he's good out there. He's a better driver, clearly. He's a good competitor. I don't know that he's a better driver. He's just lighter than everybody. It plays a big part in it. Seriously, I have no regard for the road either. I just drive how I want. I bump there. I don't care. Okay, I'll just sit back here with my first place trophy, that's all. He says he's never done this. He says he's never done this before, but I don't know about that. Mike secretly thinks, like, I used to race go-karts or something. I think he's been practicing or he's done this before. He was on the F1 circuit for a little while. I don't know what that is. You're probably right, Mike. I don't know what shotgun. Anyway, well, let's talk about some stuff. We have not mentioned a lot of the things that are happening in the news, and I want to. Skye, who is this civil rights guy that just turned his endorsement over to Obama after giving it to Hillary? He was supporting and endorsing Hillary for a while. Yeah, his name is John Lewis of Georgia, and they describe him as one of the most prominent civil rights leaders of the 1960s. Now, he initially came out supporting Hillary and went to appearances on her behalf and everything like that.
And then just, I believe it was yesterday, said that he will now be supporting Barack Obama. So strange. That's the weirdest thing. Yeah, he said he, quote, wants to be on the side of the people. If by people. He means the guy that's winning right now? Well, yeah. Then, yeah. He wants to be on the winning side, I guess. I don't blame him. This is where he wants to be. So he's also a super delegate, which, you know, is very important when it comes down. He also says he predicted the Giants were going to win. That's true. Oh, wow. It's true. 570-1053, we will take your phone calls. We are out at K1 Speed, which is a really fun place to do the little mini go-karts. We'll go up to 40 miles an hour. Dude, that's crazy. It's so much fun, man. I wish they would have hit Rob Moore. You really should have. There was a plane crash in Riverside, and in this plane crash, they were reporting...
that three people died in this plane crash. It was in Riverside. Yeah, that is true. Three people on board the plane did die late yesterday, and that's according to Riverside Fire Battalion Chief Mike Esparza. That's the truth. But he did say that no one on the ground was killed. I didn't know you were a battalion chief, too. I think that pretty much every American is having to go to more than one job at this point. Yeah, the economy is really tough right now. Just about everybody has a second-income home. Sounds like it was a rough day yesterday for you. It was. I had to run up to Riverside, do a press conference, and come home and take a shake at 4. Wow. It was a rough day. How do you do it? You know, P1s, if you can find any pictures of Mike and his fireman outfit, I'd love to see those. That'd be great. So, you know, maybe they're out there. You can maybe, well, something called Photoshop. All you have to do is get my calendar. That's true. Fireman calendars out there. That is pretty sexy. It's very sassy is what it is. Excuse me. That's what you're going for. Oh, crap. The people of Point Loma and OB.
Say that there is a foul smell coming from the San Diego River. Sorry. Eddie. What's even so stupid about it? It's been there forever. That thing has stunk forever. Why is it just making news now? I also heard that Fiesta Island smells. Yeah? Breaking news. Well, yeah, I think it's because, like, the water level is getting lower or something, which has more bacteria. I don't know. But people in the area say it always smells like a dead... skunk or something. Ew. I would have categorized it as something else. Which is always nice when you're jogging to be, you know, breathing that in. Absolutely. Well, there was a short time that I was homeless and, you know. And they did a turtlet. Ew. Ew, ew. No thank you. There is a guy that is a current contestant on American Idol Sky that used to date Britney, he says. Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah, dude, Robbie Coltrane, or whatever his name is. He wears a wig. Robbie, Robbie guy. Whoever he is, they say that he wears, like, it's a known thing that he wears a wig. That's a wig? That's what they say. Yeah, that's what everybody on the set says. Get out. Yeah. And what, he's really a woman, too? Well, no, that he, like, won't address it, but everybody knows that he full-on wears a wig. He's the guy with long hair that always has, like, a bandana, and was in a boy band, and now is claiming that he's a rocker.
I know who you're talking about. It's long. No way. He used to be in a group called Boys and Girls United, and that group toured with... Boys and Girls United? I was in it for a little while. Weren't we all? Yeah. And they toured with Brittany back in the day, and he claims that him and Brittany were an item for about three months. Yeah, I was surprised you guys didn't know about that. It was in People, like, last issue. Yeah. The wig, though. Good times. The wig. That's so weird. It is. Let's see. Orlando Bloom does not shower. Oh, dude. It's another movie star that stinks. There you go, Sean. It's your boy. Wait, there's a difference between not showering and smelling. What? You mean not wearing deodorant and not showering? Yes. Well, wait. No, I don't mean that. He doesn't shower. Okay, so he doesn't. There's a difference between not showering. I don't shower that much, let's be honest. You don't? Wow. You don't shower every day? Showering is overrated in my opinion. No wonder she has a sweating problem. What? That's not anything you do with it, bro. Anyways. Actually, talk to me about this. Showering is overrated and all my friends don't really shower either. So it's not like I'm crazy. How often do you shower? I shower after I do my yoga because I like have to. How often do you do yoga? Like three times a week. So every three days.
You jump in the shower. I push it, though, if I can. Like, Tuesday night I went to yoga, and then I still didn't shower. It was sweet. So you have not showered since Sunday. No, I showered this morning. Showered this morning. But prior to this morning, you had not showered since Sunday. Saturday. Oh, gosh. I'd have to think about it. Probably Saturday, Sunday-ish. That is so foul. I don't shower that often. That is disgusting. I take bubble baths at night. Why? Because the hair thing, I'm not supposed to wash my hair more than, like, two. Why don't you wear a hair cap like Skye when she goes swimming? Take bubble baths. You take bubble baths how often? Like every night. Well, then you're bathing. You're getting clean, you goof. So her point was, holy crap. Oh, wow. Is she serious? Did you have a head-on collision in the race? What's the matter with you? She bathes every day. She just wanted to let us know, I don't get in the shower. So stupid. You are something else. You really are. You are something else. You all started to judge me. Yeah, that's good. So you really don't take a bath? You pulled it off. No one knows. I really don't bathe every night. You guys just were judging me, so I said that. I was trying to be really cool. I started to feel gross. Yeah. No, I don't try that often. It's overrated. You don't bathe either, right? It's overrated. Why, Ashley?
Don't judge her, you guys. I'm not judging anyone. And I'm not kidding. All of my good friends don't shower very often either. So we put on deodorant, a little perfume, you're good. You guys are a pack of animals. I wonder if that's just a new cultural thing. Maybe she's going green. Maybe you're going green. I'm saving water. Yes, that's why. There it is, saving the planet. Ash, is it like... Is it like, you know how little kids, they don't want to get in the bath, and they're like, no, is it like that kind of thing? Yeah, I just really hate, I really hate it. You don't like it? I don't like to shower, and I really hate, like, the blow-drying of the hair and all that. I hate it all. Try a shower cap. I wear a shower cap. That's pretty important. She don't like the water and the soap and doing all that. All of it. Unnecessary. It's really not. See, I'm the same thing. Oh, I beg to differ. It's very necessary. Well, you know what? In Ashley's defense. Whoa, Sean. In Ashley's defense, like, she doesn't stink. No. No. So, obviously, she's able to pull off this not bathing all the time thing. Yeah, and all my friends do, too. Stop saying this. All of us. It's, like, the cool thing to do. Did you guys not know this? I didn't know. It's, like, the cool thing to do. Like, the in thing. I don't have to shower very often. Wow. Well, okay. Orlando Bloom. No, we do. I guess not. We do.
Does it give any details about how often he bathes? No, but it talks about how his current girlfriend has finally like had enough of it and is laying down the law because I guess on top of him not bathing, he likes to re-wear his clothes. Oh. Like he'll have his favorite pair of jeans or his favorite t-shirt and he'll wear them a couple times a week. Oh, nothing wrong with that. Yeah, I do that too. You have to. You got to get the maximum usage out of your clothes. Are you telling me after you wear a pair of jeans once the dirty? Please. Yeah, I'll put a pair of jeans back on. Yeah, I'll do jeans, but shirts, no. Yeah. Shirts, no way. What? Yeah, shirts you want. Your armpits sweat. Yeah, your armpits. We're not Ashley. I mean, I understand. No, no, no, Rob. I guarantee if you smell the pits of your t-shirts, they smell like armpit, bro. No, they smell like degree. No, no, no, no, no. No, he's right. They smell like degree with a hint of armpit. They do, dude. You're not like, especially if you're not taking a bath. I'll settle. We can pull through with the hands. I'll wear jeans like 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. It really doesn't matter. Okay, I was going maybe two times. Come to think of it, I haven't changed this mind. What is going on? What is going on with the younger generation? I don't know. I thought I was supposed to be the hippie on this show. You're not. You are not. This next story, I'm going to tell you right up front.
I'm going to tell you right up front that there may be things missing in this next story that I just don't get. Whoopi Goldberg was real mad because when the Academy Awards were on, they were doing a montage of former hosts of the Academy Awards. Well, they didn't show her during the montage. Right. Now, I personally don't think that they showed her, and I think it was on purpose. Yeah, I think that the reason that they didn't show her is because they thought she's not attractive enough to show. I'm being honest. I'm just giving you my opinion. I think the producers of the show were like, listen, we're doing what the American public responds to. In fact, I'll go a step further. They said we made a mistake in having her host. She's not pretty enough. We need really pretty people. We need Will Smiths or we need good-looking... Because Billy Crystal is such a looker. I'm telling you that he's... I think Whoopi is gorgeous, for the record. I'm a liar. That's fine. I think Whoopi is gorgeous. Why did she say it like that? And the eyebrows are unnecessary. She doesn't need them. She still looks good. What's she talking about? Whoopi doesn't have eyebrows. You hear how she's saying her name? Make her stop that. She's saying Whoopi Goldberg. That's her name.
Anyway, what I don't know is, and I was wondering this earlier, did they show every single host and they left her out? Well, I don't know, but to go against your theory, they showed Whoopi in a... Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. Whoopi. I'm really going to pronounce that. Whoopi. Whoopi. Silence, Whoopi. They did show her. Whoopi. I think it's a long oak. Oh, my gosh. They did show Whoopi in a montage of winners. So, you know, they did show her, and they did call her after she went on The View and kind of wan about how they didn't show her. I'm so sorry. Sky, do you think Whoopi's pretty?
Yeah, I think she's... No, you don't. I think she's attractive. I don't think she's gorgeous, but I don't think she's ugly. First of all, Skye and Ashley don't think that she's beautiful. I do. I like her without eyebrows. I've seen better looking things on the bottom of my shoe. And I didn't use the word beautiful. I think she's attractive. I use the word gorgeous. With those braids. And she doesn't need the eyebrows. She looks great. I do. You don't know? I do, no. Shave your eyebrows off, then. What? Do it. I can't pull off that look. Only Whoopi can. Tyra and Ashton Kutcher are teaming up for a reality show. Ah, finally. Gosh, yeah, we've all been waiting for it. Like, what is it? Well, they're not releasing very many details, but it is what they are describing as an unscripted series for ABC, something that will involve contestants. Competing in a beauty pageant with a twist. What's the twist? No, I bet the twist is that they had sex changes. They used to be guys. That's the twist. I would not doubt it. Here is Simon Cowell talking about Hillary Clinton and what she needs to do if she wants to win. Cut 23.
I love it. To me, it's a bit like watching American Idol. You cry, you get the votes. It's about charisma. I think it's fascinating. What do you think of Obama? I think he's terrific. He's like a pop star. Anyone who can draw 25,000 people to hear a speech about politics is a star. The guy's a star. And what about Hillary? I genuinely think she should cry more. And that's what happened before. She cried, she won. More tears. Yeah, you're going to see a lot more tears. It's really cool. Dame Edna was interviewing him there. Margaret Thatcher came back from the dead to conduct that interview. That's wonderful. Here's Simon Cowell being very honest about what he thinks about his friends. Cut 26. But you've been quoted, Simon, as saying you especially like it when bad things happen to people. Especially people you know. People you know, like Ryan. I have a theory that everyone deep down wants the people they know to do badly. Do you really? I do, yeah. I mean, it's like you want them to do well, but not as well as you. I mean, I don't get happy when people I know are successful. I don't believe that at all. It's true. It makes me depressed. And if it's Ryan, I'm like suicidal.
I think it's true. I think that if somebody is in the exact same position that you are in, you think well of them. You want them to do well. You don't want them to do as good as you do, but you do want them to do well. I think if you're being completely honest, completely honest, I think that that's what everybody would say. I think it's a natural human competitiveness that happens in all of us. Barack Obama has two daughters. And here he is talking about them and the Secret Service. Cut 32. The center of our lives remains our two girls. The girls, Malia and Sasha, have big questions for their parents. We're going to have to have those guys with dark glasses who have the things in their ears. We're out to school. They call the secret. All right. Now, this next story, folks, I am so I'm really, really excited about this next story. What? It's about a preschool teacher who was caught on tape berating her students. And I am so glad that the mother put a digital recorder in her daughter's backpack. Oh, my God. Let me tell you something. Hold up. When I was a kid, I had some of the meanest teachers, man. I had mean teachers. I'm sure you did. No, it's not a mom story. I know you guys thought I was going to. Oh, it's pretty close. But we had, I'm telling you the truth. I had this one really mean blonde teacher.
She was just an unhappy lady and she was mean to everybody in this fourth grade math class I had. And I would tell my parents that she was mean, but they thought I was exaggerating. This is an example of the mother going, I tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to tape it. I'm going to see what's going on. I'm going to put a digital recorder in my daughter's backpack. And if what she's saying is true, I'll release it to the world. So this was a story about it on Good Morning America, cut 35. The audio tapes you hear, a teacher berating her students. Shocking words, especially because she's talking to children four and five years old. One of those kids is Megan Meharis. Her parents say she's not a bad kid at all. Quiet, gentle, and kind. But she's been suspended for bad behavior four times. Her parents couldn't believe it, so they took matters into their own hands, slipping this digital tape recorder into Megan's backpack. Megan and her teacher had no idea.
While she was learning, her backpack was recording everything. The six-hour tape was mostly mundane, but the tapes also recorded the teacher saying some things that could be damaging to a young child. Now, I'm telling you, every single parent that's hearing that right now is, what would you have done if you played that back from your kid's backpack? Flipped out. Some person was telling your kid they're a stupid kid. Flipped out. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Explode. I don't know where it goes, but I'm sure she's been fired. I mean, I'm sure she would have been. But, oh, my goodness. No way. Oh, that is so crazy, man. So, anyway, that's a deal. You're going to hear more about it because now it's becoming a very big story. Yeah. By the way, in the background, you're hearing cars racing around the racetrack. I'm still waiting for someone to crash. I know. Nobody has.
If you want to come down and watch where we are, we're at K1 Speed right now. Listeners can come down. We're going to be here until 10 this morning. You can come down and get in on this. Just count, too. And the P1s, they've been saying they want to take on Rob, the champ. They want a champ to go against P-Riz. I would love to let them do that. To go against P-Riz. Yeah, and they do have a special, right? $15, you can do it? Until 11 o'clock. You can come down here and race for $15. It's a pretty good deal. Yeah. Yesterday was the day, or actually it was the day before yesterday was the day that Starbucks closed down and had all of their employees have to like relearn stuff. And I was actually asking the Starbucks that I go into, I said, you know, how was it? What did they do? Yeah. We actually learned a lot of stuff. Cool. Yeah. So what was some of the stuff? Now they're saying that they're going to give you a perfect cup of coffee. Like what? Well, they have now, like, signs up, you know, in the Starbucks store saying that your drink should be perfect every time. And if it's not, let them know and they'll make it right. Love it. So that's different from before where if your drink wasn't right and you told them, what, they would, like, throw it in your face? Yeah, they'd spit on you. What's the difference between now and then? I had an experience where my drink wasn't right and they didn't make it right after, like, three times and I finally gave up and left. Oh, really?
Three times? So I get a soy chai with a shot of vanilla, okay? I get my drink. Oh, dude, it's so good. It's like a billion calories, but anyway. Eddie just mouthed the word liar. What? What are you lying about? Three times? Yeah. You're exaggerating. What happened? What happened? So I went, I get my drink. Yeah, this is time one. Yeah, and I take a sip of it, and it's a soy mocha. Okay. No chai. It wasn't the chai. Right. And basically what a soy chai is, it's the chai with soy milk. Yeah. Okay. What's chai? Tea? Yeah. Tea. And then what a soy mocha is, it's the soy with espresso and the chocolate. Got it. Okay. So two totally different things. So I bring it back and I said, yeah, I ordered a soy chai. And the lady looks at me and she goes, this is a soy chai. And I go, okay, maybe I'm tripping. So I take the drink back and I walk away. So that was time, you know, to taste it again. I'm actually outside the store and I go, this is a mocha. Like I'm not a crazy person. This is a mocha. So I bring it in and I say again, I said, if you want to pour a little in your cup and try it yourself, like go ahead. But this is a mocha. And she goes, okay, I'm really sorry, ma'am. I'll fix that for you. She takes the chai stuff.
and pours it into the mocha, heats it up, and gives it back to me. I walk out the store, and by that time I was done, I threw it in the garbage can outside the store and walked away. You were pissed. I walked away. Whoa. And I told my husband we were boycotting that Starbucks location forever. So now they say they will do it. Yeah, and they'll do it right. No, I love that because very often, Mike, remember how we always talk about how we're very particular about who makes our coffee because we like it just so and we want it to taste perfect? Yeah. And if someone makes, because I prefer the white chocolate mocha with soy extra hot, you know what I mean? And I like it just so. And people will often burn it because they'll make it so extra hot. And I'll taste the burning with the coffee. So now I know that I can swap it back out. And you don't have to feel like a jerk now because they're promising it. Sweet. Well, what's so strange, like I said to the barista this morning, she said, yeah, you know, we guarantee you your perfect cup of coffee now, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, well, I guess what you're supposed to do then is you're supposed to taste it while you're standing there and then be like a glass of wine when they pour you a glass of wine. You take a drink of it and you go, that's perfect, thank you. I guess you're supposed to do the same thing now with your coffee. But they're saying that they'll give you a perfect cup of coffee. Interesting story out of Australia. A gigantic python ate a chihuahua in front of the kids.
Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. Shut up. That's crazy. Grabbed a hold of the chihuahua. Was it asking for it? I'm guessing wrapped around the chihuahua and, you know, squeezed it until the life was out of it. I don't freak out. Yeah, it was a 16-foot python that weighed about 110 pounds, and they say it actually had been stalking the dog for a couple days. Okay, well, I don't get that part of the story. And the reason that I don't get that part of the story is because if it was stalking it for days, that means that somebody must have told the reporters it was stalking it for days, which means that somebody must have known that it was stalking it for days. Maybe they interviewed the python. Yeah, they interviewed the python. So how did this go down? The python was like, wow, I stalked it for days. I guess what happened is like a day or two prior, they saw the snake like around the dog's little bed thing. and um according to like the snake expert who was they were talking to for the story he said yeah if they would have called me out that day i could have taken care of it but the snake took off and so they decided well the snake's not around we won't call anyone and then like a day later the snake same area took the terrier chihuahua in its mouth right in front of a five and a seven year old and gobbled it up if they knew that it was
Why did they let him stalk it? Well, I guess the people, like the parents, didn't know that it was stalking. They just thought, oh, there's a snake here. Oh, now he's gone. But the snake... Oh, there's a wild 16-foot python. Oh, it's not their python. No big deal. No, no, it was a wild python. It's not a pet. No, no. And so then the snake expert told him, yeah, if he was around this area, he's been stalking the dog. I guess we're just not used to having wild pythons here in America. Yeah. But I was like, I thought that was a pet. So by the time they call the... special snake guy out after the dog had already been eaten. They said that the back legs and the tail were hanging out of the mouth. So was it two later? Did they get him out? No, because they strangle him first. I'm not going to go out with some fish and watch that little tender kid spell out all over the dog. I'm going to do some half-ass autopsy. Fish autopsy. This is not the time or the place.
to perform some kind of an autopsy on a fish. It's not funny. You're going to need a finger poke. It's not the snake's fault. That's what he eats. Now these people have a pet snake. I agree. It's a freaking family fault. But there's some people who have pet pythons that just think they're the most wonderful thing ever. Yeah, Talon's here. He's got a python. There's nothing wrong with having a python if you know what you're doing with it and all that. Sure. Right, Talon? Yeah, I breed ball pythons. I have about five of them right now. Uh-huh. Yeah. And they eat every two weeks or so. What do they eat? Yeah, little dogs. Well, they eat dogs if there's a dog around. Right in front of children. Rabbits. Mostly rats. No, Skye, they know that's rude. They know that's rude. They wait for the kids to leave. Yes. Well, that is certainly a very sensational story. Yes, that's sad. It's not as sensational as Senator Larry Craig looking for interns. Wow. But it's pretty sensational. Wow. Well, you know. What does he say? He tries to swallow you like a python. Alright, I got you. I got you. I get what that means.
Got it, Eddie. What's the deal, Skye? I am not gay. I never have been gay. This is funny because we didn't say anything. I am not gay. I never have been gay. I am not gay. I never have been gay. Why are you slowly getting behind me? This is awkward. So, yeah, he's looking for interns, and in the ad for interns, he said, for those interested in politics... Must be sexy. Rip abs. He says it is an incredible opportunity to get behind-the-scenes look. Must look like Tim Riggins. Oh, dude, I need an intern like that. Must be able to fit into these cut-off jeans. Yeah. Well, if Senator Craig does... Oh, no way. As a fellow gay man. I've got some memorabilia that I'd like you to help me with organizing. No.
Attic. Wait, you're looking for interns? Yes, my intern will go up into the attic with me like Greg and Greg Brady. Does everything have to be a Brady Bunch reference? And then we'll put together Star Trek memorabilia. I don't like where this is going. Yeah, it does. I'll sign it and you'll send it out. That's how it works. That's how it works. But voted for me to sign it, you must be blindfolded. This is getting awkward. Dressed like a cowboy. All right. Please stop. So, Nicole Richie has debuted her kid in People Magazine. The kid's name is Harlow. Yes, Harlow Winter. Harlow Winter. Girl or boy? Girl. I mean, gosh, it's like there's a run on that name, Harlow Winter. I don't have an eating disorder. Everyone's named Harlow Winter. It's Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who was born in, you know, mid-January. Well said. The first pictures. And already the baby weighs more than her. Oh, wow. I don't have an eating disorder. Yeah, and in the interview with People magazine, this is an injury. I don't have an eating disorder.
Some women. She says she doesn't know how long she was in labor, but she said she was only pushing for about 10 minutes before the baby came out. Wow. Yeah. 570-1053 is our phone number. We help people make music. Virgin America. I don't know if you've heard of it, but it's a new airline, and it just started flying out of San Diego. And if you want to take a trip somewhere that Virgin America is flying, I recommend you go that way, man, because I got to fly on one of their planes the other day, and it was so cool. They have so many cool little gadgets and features and things to entertain yourself.
it makes the trip go by so fast now every seat whether you're in the main cabin or in extra special first class and i call it extra special first class because on virgin america their main cabin seats are kind of like the seats of everybody else's first class but regardless of where you're sitting you get your own tv screen and it's a touch screen and there are so many cool things you can do you can watch movies you can listen to music um so many cool things but one thing that i think is really cool is they have Google Maps on there. So you can actually watch like where you're flying. Like it'll show you where you are and then it'll show a little icon of the plane. So when you're flying over and you look out the window and you go, what is that? Is that the Grand Canyon? Or like you don't even know what's going on out there. I'm always guessing. And of course, I'm always wrong. But it's cool because on Virgin America, you can just put up a Google Maps feature and you can track your trip. You can see exactly where you are and what you're looking at. So when we were flying back into San Diego, I was like, okay, you know, on the map, I'm over Riverside. Okay, now I'm flying over Carlsbad because, you know, they come in on the coast and all the way down. And it was really, really cool because now you know what you're looking at out the window.
Anyway, there's so many awesome features on Virgin America. You totally should go to their website and check out just everything they have to offer because it's too much stuff for me to tell you in one breath. But the main cabin seats start at just $44 and first-class seats from $149. So I suggest you check out their website, virginamerica.com. Live from K1 Speed in Carlsbad on the Cricut Wireless Remote Broadcasting, it's another Eddie and B-Rob challenge. Here again, Mikey. Yeah, dog. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. I'm sorry. There's a tickle. There's a little tickle. You're looking good. Oh, well, thanks. It's better to look good than to feel good. I agree. That is the most important thing. 570-1053. We've been taking calls.
A lot of things out there. One of the things that we were talking about this morning was this teacher that was so mean. They were able to tape. This mother was able to tape her being mean to her kid. I'm sure the woman's fired. We don't know for sure, but I'm sure she's fired. We were also talking about bathing. We talked about Orlando Bloom and the fact that Orlando Bloom doesn't take a shower. Ashley says it's overrated. P1 Katie, are you there? Hi, I'm right here. Katie, you shower like Ashley? Yeah, well, I don't know if you're like Ashley, but I shower every other day. Really? Yeah. Why don't you shower every day, Katie? Because, well, first of all, I'm the same way. Like, you're not supposed to wash your hair every day. I disagree. Well, you don't have to. Why don't you put on a shower cap?
Yeah, that's what I do. Well, sometimes I do that because, you know, it depends on how I feel. Like if I feel like I need a shower, then yeah, I will put on a shower cap or something. You should feel that way every day. Every day. Put your hair up and just kind of like rinse off at least. What? Why? Well, they're making me think that this is like a cultural thing that we shower because we think we're supposed to or something. I would no matter what. No, no, no. I will no matter what. Yeah, me too. I will because it's a habit and because I feel. You guys are all so cool and clean. Well, I feel like it does make your body smell better and. I feel grody if I don't. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like a disgusting pig. See, we're not calling names here. Well, listen. That's what I feel like. There are. There are parts of your body that I believe should be washed daily. Are you talking about the genitals? Yeah, I think that's what he's talking about.
I wasn't saying it necessarily, but... Yeah, I really get in there and scrub. Okay, we don't need to know. It probably stinks, I don't know. I don't know, Mike. Wouldn't you guess? What I do is I go to the car wash. I don't want to know what you do. Power wash. Power wash, the undercarriage. That's right. You got to get up in there. Katie. Seriously. Get the bust out. Oh, my God. So, hang on. Katie, do you have a thing where you say, okay, I won't go more than every other day? Yeah. Oh, no. I have to go. At least every other day. I mean, if I go more than that, then I feel that it is kind of gross. Going over that would be gross. She's feeling like you guys are judging her, so she's lying. Katie, Ashley thinks that you're lying and that we're judging you and that the only reason you're not telling us the real truth is because... I am not lying. I have a husband, and he's a shower everyday guy, and so he yells at me if I know. You smell like a septic tank. How old are you, Katie? You smell like the San Diego River. 22.
That is true. Once you get a guy, that will change a little bit since I've been dating my guy. Why? I've had to shower more. Why? Well, because then you, like, really want to make sure that everything is, like, good. Sparkling. Yeah. The jewels are all nice and shine. You don't want to make him think that you're disgusting. Oh. Yes. So then you admit that it is disgusting. Yeah, she does. Oh, F. P1 Instigator. Caught me. Wait a minute. We can't hear you, Instigator. Go ahead. Mikey, what's going on? Not too much, dude. Hey, Mike, you sound like you're having the time of your life out there. Surely your parents took you to do this when you were a kid, right? Oh, no. Instigator. You just instigated. You know what you're doing. Oh, horrible. I love you. I mean, I do this every weekend, practically, but I mean, I don't know. Parents took me, like, all the time. That's just because they didn't. They didn't. Really? Oh, no. Well, I'm sure you went, like, miniature golfing or to SeaWorld and things like that, right? You had to go to some movies or something, right? Park? No, but I did get to see a semi-truck when I was a kid. What? What do you mean? What does that have to do with? I got to see the interior of an 18-wheeler, guys. Well, that's cool, but... It's weird. Did your parents take you to, like, a trucking museum or something? No. You must have been into trucks, right? Was your dad a driver? No, that wasn't it either, guys. What's the deal? How does that work out? What is the deal? Well, the deal was that, you know, they, I think...
Thought that I talked too much and wanted to get me out of the house. How old were you? Doesn't sound good. How old were you, Mike? I don't know. What year did 9 to 5 come out? The movie 9 to 5. Early 80s. Whatever year it came out, they introduced me to a friend of theirs. His name was actually... I'm not making this up. His name was Eddie. Sounds creepy. His name was Eddie. Talk about it, Mike. His name was Eddie. He was a truck driver, and I went on the 18-wheeler with him. I showed Mike my bed. That's right. That is normal. Creepy. So, yeah, but I did miss the, you know, fun things like the go-karts. Go-karts? Yeah, I missed that. I'm sure you went to carnivals and stuff like that, though. Yeah, actually, they sold me to a carnage. They sold you?
Wow, I traveled with the circus for a couple of years. Well, the 80s were tough financially. Yeah, they sure were. You had to do whatever you could do to make money back in the day. Thank you. You're welcome. Ashley Tisdale. Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute. Before we move on, let's take some of these calls. Now we've got a lot of people calling in. P1 Pool Boy, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. You don't shower? No, and it's honestly been, like, the greatest thing I've ever done with my personal life to save time. I used to wake up in the morning after, like, showering and just have the worst hairdo, like, just bedhead. I couldn't do anything with it. And then I found out my girlfriend wasn't showering. Right. And it leaves, like, so much product still in your hair that, like, I wake up every morning, I just flick it back, and I haven't had a problem. Well, everybody keeps saying this whole thing about the hair, which is just a way of making an excuse. But, dude, like a pool boy, you're out in the sun, like, sweating all day long. It's disgusting, pool boy. Wait, pool boy, what about chlorine? He's out there, you know. He's out in the sun. He's sweating. It's disgusting. He's not shy. He's getting into those sheets. Ashley, how dare you? That's disgusting. How dare you? P1 Knuckles is on the line. Knuckles, are you there? What's going on, Mikey? What's up, man? Hey, man. Honestly, that is death foul.
Ashley, that's disgusting, man. How can you go on national radio and tell a lot of people that you don't sour? You probably smell like mayonnaise and cactus. That's right. Did you say mayonnaise and cabbage? Pick up Stel Paso. What's up everybody in Peabody? Thank you very much. I've ever heard... I'm sorry. I mean, you open yourself up. Beth, why did you let that call through? Oh, now she's not at that. Oh, no. Ashley, give me... Hold on, hold on. Let her express herself. P1... Did you hear what that listener said? Yes, it was very funny. P1 Hunter. P1 Hunter. Uh, you haven't washed your hair in three months? That would be correct. No, that's nothing. Hang up, hang up. Hang up. Hang up. Do you have dreads? No, I take a shower, but I just don't wash my hair. Just use water, and then I let it grease up, and it looks pretty sexy, I've got to say. Hang up, hang up. I'm pretty sexy, Sean. Wow. No, thank you. There is a whole subculture of non-bathers out there that I didn't know about. Ashley is one of them. I still don't want to know about them, Mike. Yeah, call them the stinkies. But we don't know. Mikey show, hello.
You don't know, Sean. Sweating the way they do on a daily basis. I cannot believe you don't shower. That's nasty. Yeah, let me tell you. What Ashley will do is she will sweat in her armpits. A lot. A lot. And then she won't shower and she'll just put another layer of deodorant over it. And she'll just keep covering it and covering it. She needs to be hosed off. And so you've got this sweat. So it's like lilac and B.O. Yeah, like you've got this, you've got this. So at the end of the week, it's basically like a seven-layer dip in there. Yeah, pretty much. Dude, I do not want to get to the guacamole. No way. That is the grossest analogy ever. You know how you get to the guacamole? You go one, two, three. No, that was so gross. Oh, I'm so grossed out right now. Yucky. Tom, what's going on, man? Tom, are you there? What's going on? Yeah, I'm here. Yeah, what's up? Hey, I was just wondering, how can I become a P1? How do you become a P1 is a good question. Let's get a P1. Raise your hand if you're a P1. Get the king of the P1. Oh, get the king of the P1s. Come over here on this microphone and tell this gentleman on the phone how you become a P1. Right into the microphone. And don't mess it up.
Wow, that's a lot of pressure. That's a lot of pressure. No pressure, Spaceboy. We love you. A P1 is somebody who calls into the Mikey Show, gets to their points, turns on the radio, does not cuss, listens exclusively, turns other people on to the Mikey Show. There you go, dude. Nailed it. Let's hear it for Spaceboy. He's the greatest. He's the greatest. All right, good to get him. There you go, man. The Tiger Woods of P1s. That is very true. Where the other P1s are like, well, what are we supposed to do? I mean, a guy's going to kill it like that. What are we supposed to do around here? Yes. P1, Erica is on the line, and Erica would like to defend Skye's loss earlier. What? Erica, go ahead. Yes, man, I just went on that track, and it is the scariest thing I've ever done in my life. I swear to God I was going to pee my pants or something. Right. So, Skye, I totally understand why you were scared and lost. She's in the bathroom, Eddie. Thank you, Erica. It was scary. I mean, I was dead last place. I assumed she was going like 10 miles per hour. Yeah. Erica, where are you right now? I'm in my car, like, trying to not be so scared. She's like, I'm under the table, Mike. Why? I'm trying to recover from that scary thing that just happened to me. Thank you, Erica. You get it, girl.
P1 Ryan is on the phone. Ryan, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Now, is this the Ryan that we know? Yes. I'm outside. Wait a minute. Wait. Why are P1s calling from outside? Ryan, what are you doing? You were talking about the showering. You were embarrassed and couldn't face us when you said that. I just saw you like two feet away from us. Why are you outside, Ryan? He's taking a horse bath out there with a hose. Oh, he's at the drinking fountain like a prostitute. What are you doing, Ryan? Well, you're talking about the showering or the wax. I know, but you're here. I like his tactic. Okay, go ahead. Since you're on the phone, go ahead. Well, July 4th last year was the day I took a shower before some of my back surgeries, and I didn't take another one until Halloween. You've got to be kidding me, foul human being. You're a son of a bitch. I want to hurt you so bad. Ryan, are you kidding me? Ryan, come on. Show your face, man. But I couldn't actually get in the shower. I wasn't waterproof yet. Oh, my goodness. Brass balls. Did you, like, at least take sponge baths or something? Yeah. What about sponge bobs? Did you take sponge bobs? Yeah. Dude, did you stink so bad? So bad.
Uh, yeah. Yeah. Hey, Sean, here's the best part is he's been in our studio before where you sit. That's right. I don't believe that. I guess because it's true. It's true. There's nothing. Thank you for calling from outside, Ryan. We appreciate that. That's Ryan. He's a good guy. Yeah. P1 Dano, are you there? Yes, sir. I'm right here. I just left there about 830. And let me tell you, that was one of the best mornings I ever had. I got to go on the track and everything. And watching Skyluse was one of the best things I've ever seen in my life. Hey, sir. And about Ashley not showering, she's too hot. She doesn't need a shower. Oh, you get it. Thank you. All right, you guys have a good morning. Thank you very much. I don't think there's a hot that exists that doesn't need a shower. Thank you. Everyone needs a shower. Everyone. P1 Lauren, are you there? Yeah, what's up, Mikey? How's it going? Good, man. What's up? Oh, nothing. I've just been without an iPod recently and back into a normal car listening to the radio. I just wanted to say I've been stoked on listening to you guys. I've heard some pretty funny stuff lately. That's awesome. I want to thank you guys for that. Enjoying my mornings on the way to work. Very nice. Very nice. What do you think of Whoopi Goldberg? Who? Whoopi Goldberg. Whoopi? Okay. I'm not really into her. All right.
Well, we're going to talk about, thank you for the call. I appreciate it, Lauren. That was nice, Ashley. That was a good one, yeah. American Idol last night. I want to talk about the chick that thinks that she's Janis Joplin. Elvira. Do you love her? I hate her. Elvira, mistress. The paint can, like, splattered in her face. Oh, so bad last night. She is disgusting. So what is her name? Amanda Overmeyer. Amanda Overmeyer. Whoa. So she sang Carry On Wayward Son and destroyed it. Carry on a wayward son. Which one? She didn't actually sing it. We were gone. Yeah, 70s night. Was that a clip? I think it was. Let's go ahead and sing it. Cut 12. There'll be peace when you are done. Clearly offended. This is even the bad part. Yeah. Thank you. And the visual makes it so much worse. I wish that Simon Cowell would stand up. Right here on my butt. That's what you sound like. My butt. That was, that is, I thought they told her to stop doing that. She doesn't care? I guess not.
Oh, she's just going to keep doing it. Do the judges hate it? Because last week Simon liked her. Let's listen. Cut 13. All right, so you know for me, man, it wasn't the right song choice for you. Really? Way too much melody. It's true. Here's the deal. Here's what the problem is with that song. Great Kansas song. Love it. And there's too many instrumental breaks in there for a singer singing a song. I'm like, I don't want to hear the band. I don't want to hear you sing. Also, there was way too much melody in there for a bluesy girl. That kind of melody. The verses were very pitchy. Not quite the right song for you. Wasn't the right love. Too many lyrics for you. Yeah, I thought there was too many notes. Too many notes. I gotta tell you something, Amanda. You got some moves. I thought you were really good. I thought you were really good. You look like a cat. Don't be all shy. You know, I know you're worried about, oh, I'm not gonna do too much of Janice. You gotta do what fits right.
Well said. Well said. You are special. You are needed in this competition. You are a brilliant, brilliant artist. This was not the right song. Peter Peckler, Peter Peckler. I'll tell you what I felt. I thought actually in your film, you came over as very natural, very cool. And then everything felt contrived from what you wear, from this terrible hair, from the indulgence. Not that it felt natural or real. It was like you're in your own little world with actually quite an ugly song. And I couldn't wait for it to finish. I really, really didn't get that. And if you want the popular vote, you're not going to get it by doing that. But what did you think of her, Simon? Don't read too much into that. Yes. Amanda, we just want to remind you, try not to analyze what Simon said. Because it'll just drive you crazy, crazy. Quick time out, and we'll come back, and we've got some things to do to wrap up, but we'll be back in just a second. Don't go anywhere. And your phone calls, 570-1053. We'll be back in just a second. Yeah, some people thought it wasn't. So I've been getting some emails of people concerned. I mean, have they ever listened to our show? That's what I thought. We're pretty sarcastic, but they didn't realize. That's what we do here. I was, listen.

Hello? Subway, eat fresh for a limited time only at participating restaurants. I'd never done the engagement ring thing before, so I wanted to make sure I did it right. Jared, the Galleria of Jewelry customer, David Holt. That's Jared. They had lots of loose diamonds. They took time to show us five or six or seven diamonds, and then they took the time to take each one of these diamonds and they set it in the setting so we could see what it would look like. If you're considering an engagement ring, go to Jared with five times the selection of ordinary jewelry stores. I went back to get the ring, and I was floored. I knew my wife was going to come to tears when she saw it. Design your ring at Jared. Select from hundreds of settings in gold or platinum. Then choose from thousands of diamonds to create a ring that is uniquely yours. I get text messages saying nothing more than her ring is beautiful all the time. Jared, the Galleria of Jewelry. Now open near Mission Valley Mall off Interstate 8 on Mission Centre Road. Hey, Boston Rob. I'm Barry, the Spinnix Ambassador from Ireland. And I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem that plagues San Diego at this time of year. Green beer? It's true.
You're going to find dyed green beer out there on St. Paddy's Day. That's crazy. It's not just funny looking. It's not how we celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Ireland. So, what do you guys do in Ireland? Well, it's simple. Why not try raising a pint of something authentic this St. Patrick's Day, Smittix, Ireland's favourite ale. Hey, Barry, if we want to order a pint of authentic Irish ale, give me a couple examples of how we do it. This St. Patrick's Day, be sure to order a pint of our favourite ale, Smittix, like we do in Ireland. For example, I'll have a pint of Smittix, please. Or how about around the Smittix? Or even, as we'd say in Ireland, Smittix for everyone in the pub on me this St. Patrick's Day. So we might be considered pretty funny looking, raising a dyed green pint of beer. So why don't you celebrate this St. Patrick's Day like they do in Ireland and raise a pint of something authentic. Smittix, Ireland's favorite ale. Please drink responsibly. Wow, suddenly I want milk. Welcome back. It's K-I-O-Z San Diego. Oh, Tiaz. K-I-O-Z San Diego. Somebody just gave Eddie some cookies, so if somebody could... I can't eat those. Yeah, so definitely if somebody wants to get him some. Oh, Tiaz. 570-1053 is our number. Yes, it is. And at the beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. And so you can call in right now about anything you want.
Open phone. So we're going to be doing something new tomorrow. What are we doing? We're doing the battle of the sexes. Yeah. That's right. It starts tomorrow. What is this that you speak of? Battle of the sexes. Yeah. It is going to be guys versus girls. And we are going to be bringing back somebody that people have been listening to the Mikey show. They know her voice. They've heard her voice. Her name is Chantel. She is a San Diego Charger girl, and she is going to come in and help with the girls. She keeps it real. She does keep it real. So it'll be Chantel, Sky, and Ashley versus Eddie, Sean, and B-Rob. Oh, come on. Don't you want to make it a challenge? Easy. Easy. I don't believe you continue. So that is going to be tomorrow on the Mikey Show. Cool. Should be lots of fun. And I can't wait to see what Ashley knows. Girl power? Yeah, girl power. I think we already know what she knows. She knows lots. You leave her alone. Let's take some phone calls. People on Seanaphobe is on the line with us right now. Hi, Seanaphobe. How's it going, guys? What's going on? Hey, I got a question for my buddy Sean. I was just wondering.
After he showers, does he have to, like, put his gloves on and, like, go down every inch with, like, a toothbrush and clean everything off? Off of what? Off your shower walls, like everything that you wash off yourself. Well, I do spray it down every time I shower. What do you spray it down with? And I squeegee the shower doors. What do you spray the shower with? It's like, I don't know what it's called. It's like, bam. Oh, I saw an infomercial for that. That's great. Dude, it works. You put some of that seasoning all over it. Bam! Nice. Bam! Does that answer your question, Sean-a-phobe? Yeah, also, how many times a week do you have to shower, Sean? Once or twice a day, so, you know, anywhere from 7 to 14 times. All right, guys, you guys are great. You're welcome. I don't even think I shower that much in a month. Oh, that's disgusting. That is really disgusting. P1 Eli, are you there? Puts a bam on you.
I'll get straight to the point. I wanted to ask Eddie real quick what he thought about Kimbo Slice. I was talking about my buddy, and I didn't think he was going to do too good later on when he meets some real fighters. Eddie, what do you think of Kimbo Slice? I'm out. Later. Later. You know, it's tough to tell because Kimbo hasn't fought anybody really. I mean, he fought a Tink Abbott that's 44 years old and really didn't have much, and he fought a guy that was tapping out on his way down. You know, until he fights a legitimate heavyweight, a guy that can, you know, really fight, I don't know. I mean, he's an interesting carnival act, for sure. Who would you like to see him fight? Well, he doesn't fight in the UFC, so it's kind of hard to say. You know, there's not a lot of guys out there that aren't, you know, under UFC contracts. So, you know, if he somehow were signed by the UFC, you know, I'd like to see anybody. Arlovsky, I'd like to fight. Our boy Vera, Crow Cop, anybody. 570-1053 is the phone number beginning and end of every show. We do open phones. You can call in about anything you want. And then we will split. We'll be back in tomorrow morning with a listener that won P1 Trivia. Come in and hang out and be able to hang with us the entire show. P1 Quimby is on the line. Listen to that, Quimby. Listen to that response you got, Quimby.
Okay, so I'm almost out on Big Brother. I'm almost done with it. What happened, Quimby? Eddie's shaking his head. Yes, yes, talk about it. Okay, Big Brother After Dark on Sunday night was the grossest thing I've ever seen in my life. I was thinking about you because you watch it with your father, right? Yeah, we turned it off. It was like a borderline orgy going on. It was an orgy. Okay, it was. It was disgusting. And I'm almost out. I'm almost on the same page with Eddie on the show now. I'm almost done. Well, all the things that I love about Big Brother are gone. Like, you know, like when you vote, you know, when they're doing the nominations and all that stuff, or they're voting to evict somebody. Well, there's only like three couples now that vote instead of like, you know, nine people. And there's no suspense to it. It's lame. Eddie, I got news from my dad yesterday, though. They're still doing a summer season of Big Brother. Well, of course they are, Quimby. Come on, let's not be crazy. Yeah, so hopefully it'll be individual. I heard rumors about a celebrity big brother. Oh, gosh. Well, whatever. It's going to be a train wreck. So gross. All right, Quimby. Quimby, thank you for the call. We'll talk to you soon. Listen to that. You can tell she is a Hall of Famer, man. She's getting quite a response from all these people. Mikey Show, hello. What's up, man? What's up, dude? Nothing, just working.
Thanks for the call. Listen, I don't think he had anything. Seriously, he's working. I don't think he had anything. Mikey Show, hello. Hello? Yes. Hi, Mikey. Hi. Hi. What can I do for you? What? What can I do for you? I'm just saying hi. This is P1. This is P1. Mark Kram's girlfriend. The other guy had more to say. Do you remember you were talking about Marcram? No. No? That was like years ago, man. I guess. I don't know. What? Well, that's probably why we don't remember. Well said. You remember. All right, well, thank you very much for the call. Oh, boy. Oh, well, hey, I just wanted to see you. Love your mouth. All right, we're going to take one more phone call. We're going to take one more phone call, and that is it. All right. Make it a good one. P1 Shane, are you there? Yeah, hey, Mikey. What's up, dude? I have a question for Sean. Go ahead. What's the name of that show that he watches about the mortgage broker or the IRS guy or something? Banachek. Oh, Sean's so irritating. So irritating. So irritating. Just a question. Calm down. Calm down. What's your question? What channel is it on? You can catch it on.
Of the old network. Shut up. Go ahead. Scoring TV. Oh, Eddie. Give him the DeLorean. Come on. It's on the Insomnia Network. Okay. It's on TV for losers. Oh, Eddie. No offense. Eddie, wow. That one was just the best. Wow. Really? Wow. Oh, the belt. Hey, thanks for the call, P1 Chain. Oh, no problem. All right. I want to thank a couple of people. Thank you so much to our promotion staff. Let's hear it for Jay and Smash League. They set it up out here and they got us going. Thank you guys very much. Also, thank you to our engineering staff who came out here real early this morning. Trevor had it all going on early. Thank you so, so much. To Trevor, I want to say you rock. My life. You rocked my life. Marry me, please, Trevor. Marry me, please. Trevor. And also, thank you so much to Mal back at the station. Uh-huh. And he's keeping everything running. And little Zeph. Baby Zeph. Don't forget me. Little baby Zeph is back there doing his thing. And he's great. And thank you to all the P1s who showed up out here. A bunch of P1s who showed up out here. They're all great.
And thank you so much to K1 Speed who had us come out here. By the way, they're going to do $15 until 11 a.m. this morning for anybody that wants to come out to K1 Speed and race. And I just want to say. Oh, boy. Oh, gosh. That's weird. Be quiet. Also, thank you to Restaurants on the Run who brought food out here for everybody today. And we really appreciate it. And let's see. Mal, go ahead and hit that. Red button that says Kill Bill. I think it says Kill Bill, right? Hit the red Kill Bill button. It's on. There we go. And the lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. Today is, what is today? Wednesday? It's Thursday. Today? What is it, Ashley? Lost and found. Lost and found on the new order today. Make sure you're listening, and we will see you tomorrow morning at 530. Make a lot of noise as we sign out of here, guys. Michael Still is out late.
