Right, right, right. They got the Tutti Frutti host, right? That's true. He's got the hands of the Tutti Frutti hands. Why don't you take you and your Tutti Frutti host and put it where the sun don't shine. You need to lay off a little bit. Eddie, they're all lucky that Uncle... Get out of here. You're lucky Uncle Neil doesn't sue every last one of y'all. Because I sued Uncle Mori the last time that he made a pass at me in the men's bathroom at Lips. He never did that. And why are you calling him Uncle Mori? I like it. Did I call him Uncle Mori? Yes, you did. Hey, Uncle Mori. That's weird. Remember the time I sued you for touching me at Lips? I was performing. Not what you think. I was performing. I'm judging you.
I need to let my other band, the Boo Donkeys, know that I quit. You're not in the Boo Donkeys. I know you're not in the Boo Donkeys. I am with them. The Boo Donkeys are fake bands. Yes, they are. And I've had it with them. I'm quitting their band. They're sitting around snorting their gin blossoms and getting loose with the white rabbit. Back to the bare knuckle ladies. Let me tell you about them. No, no, no. Let me tell you about them for a second. Those girls are lucky that I didn't karate chop their mouths. They're men. I know it's called Barenaked Ladies. Those broads are men? They're men. Back when we toured together in Provo when I was still a Mormon, let me tell you what happened. I am sorry. I loaned those girls my curling. I am Jewish. I loaned those. I am now. But at the time, I was still a Mormon. I loaned those chicks. My curling iron one night, right before a show, and that drugged-out hippie singer misplaced it. That's why I don't like him in the first place, so I'm glad he's gone. Your curling iron. That's right. I don't know my curling iron. But it reminds me of a song I wrote about it. Let's rock it. Here we go. Let's rock it. This is what it's all about. You ever heard a song called Love on the Rocks? I have heard it. It was written about the curling iron. No, it was not. I don't think it was. It was, too. Neil Diamond. Listen to this. Is this what I sing?
Well, yeah, you missed your cue. No, no, no, wait, I didn't miss a cue. It's your song. You should know when you're cueing. Can't I start to sing, though, whenever I feel like it? You've got to sing at the appropriate... Well, let's start again, then. Okay, okay. Here we go. Because the mood ain't right. I ain't dressed like Dracula. Give me my cape, that's okay. Look into my little mood. Man, this is my black cape. You put it in the dryer, Mark. It's right. It's about five minutes. Here we go. You ready to do this? Here we go. Curl in your locks. Yeah! Order me some fries. Tell me I steam. Can you make me fried rice? What? Sky, you'll like this. I'm dropping a deuce. With a door swinging loose. I'm with the one ear. You're at the open. That's a stupid meal. You're stupid. Co-written by Sky. There it was. I gave you my hair. You left me a cold beer. You little B&L troll. What? Yesterday's gone. I like this one.
And if you really wanted to share, that wasn't bad enough. You can't seem to book you anywhere, can you? No, you wanted to book you because you're playing weekends in Indio because it's the only place that plays up front anymore. You didn't get any good weed at anymore because you're 50 years old and you have the same stupid manager you had when you were 20. Get out of here. The incisor. Didn't she have the internet in there? I don't know. I mean, WebMD. It's not that hard. You heard my ace. We're getting better, but let me throw the guitar at you. What's a P1? Good morning. We're off to a pretty good start. There was a couple of accidents now being reported, though, on northbound 15. There's one before Clamont Mesa Boulevard with a car on the fast lane. Use caution there. And farther north, we got word of an accident involving a school bus and a car with the car facing the wrong way here in northbound 15 at Miramar Road. So definitely be careful there as well. Other than that, though, we're pretty much up to speed throughout the county. No major problems if you're heading into Orange County and Riverside at 5 or 15. And the border waits about an hour and a half already in San Francisco. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. He was also quoted as saying, happy. San Diego's rock. Monday, March the 2nd, 2009. Our phone number, 570-1053. And text us, text Mikey at gmail.com. Text Mikey at gmail.com. It was a very interesting weekend. And we want to hear about your weekend. We want you to call us, 570-1053. We want to hear all about it.
Also want to tell you about our weekend. Eddie had a crazy weekend. There are five people on the show. Myself, I'm the host, Mikey. Eddie is our producer. Sky's our news girl. Ashley is our assistant producer. And Boston Rob is our utility man. Yeah. That's right. He's a designated hitter. And Eddie, talk to people about what happened this weekend. Well, it was a rough one. I was actually really looking forward to this weekend because I had nothing planned. I had really nothing going on. And so all I was really looking forward to doing is maybe watch some movies and finish my Watchmen novel that I've been reading to get ready for the movie. But things didn't work out like that. Saturday morning, we woke up and my wife, Debra, who's five months pregnant, was bleeding. And not like a little bit, a lot. So, you know, we were obviously freaking out and thinking the worst. But we called the nurse line that they gave us and they told us, you know, to go to. It was weird because Debra's right at like 20 weeks. And so when you're at 20 weeks, you can, you know, if you're before 20 weeks, they tell you to go to the ER. If you're after 20 weeks, they tell you to go to where we're having the baby, which is Mary Birch Hospital.
And so the nurse was like, well, and I'm like, listen, let's just go to Mary Birch because, you know, they're experts. That's what they do. That's all they do. And, you know, what are they going to do? Tell us to go home. Right. So we piled her in the car, rushed down to the hospital, was there for like six hours on Saturday. It was crazy. But, you know, right when we got there, they put like a baby monitor on her. And like they let us listen to the heartbeat. So we knew the baby was OK right away. So that immediately kind of the stress level went down a little bit. But still, you know, obviously it was a big concern and trying to figure out what was going on. So they did a bunch of tests and, you know, they sent us up for another ultrasound, which was cool because I got to see the baby move around. And, you know, they measured all the different stuff and everything was great. Everything was fine. Baby was fine. Um, you know, it was kind of scary because Deborah was, you know, obviously a little freaked out. And so she had a couple of contractions. Really? Yeah. Cause they put on like this monitor to see, you know, you know, if everything's okay and they show you when, when you have a contraction.
And that's real bad. Okay, I was going to say. That's real bad. Oh, wow. And so, you know, but they were real far apart. They weren't like, you know, anything close or anything to really get worried about. It was mostly because her anxiety was up and all that stuff. But, you know, it turns out she had like a small infection, which I guess caused the bleeding. And so that's, you know, the most they could tell us right now. And they put her on bed rest until we can go in and see our regular doctor. But from everything we could see, you know, the baby was great and Debra was fine. And so everything was cool. It was just crazy. Scary. Really scary. I've never prayed so hard in my life, man. I was so freaked out, man. It was really scary. But it was good. You know, everything's cool. So that's the good news. That's great. That's great. How is she now? You know, like, is she still freaking out? No. Once, you know, once the doctor said everything's cool, you're cool, and the baby's great, you know, she calmed down quite a bit and everything was fine. And I told her, you know, you have to relax. Like, you have to. Like, it's so important. And, you know, ended up, you know, she didn't do anything yesterday. Just, you know, relaxed.
I get to make every meal and serve her in bed and do all the dishes and do all the laundry and go grocery shopping. It was crazy. When did she get to see her real doctor? She's got to wait until the day open today and then we'll find out. Hopefully we'll be able to go see him today. But I have a feeling they're not going to keep her on bed rest or anything like that. It was just like one of those weird, rare things. One of the nurses, they were so cool at Mary Birch, man. I have to tell people that they were... Just amazing there. They told us that these things happen. It's weird and it's crazy and scary, but it happens. And that's one of the things, man. When Rebecca, especially when she was pregnant the first time with Jake, man, dude, one thing I remember was when you're doing it for the first time, you're kind of like... I don't know what this is. I don't know what this is. And so, um, one thing that I think I learned and took away from the first time that she was pregnant was how even scary things can be normal. Even scary things can be normal. And, um, uh, and that, and that's what you would just said, you know, that they told you, you know, some of this stuff, it just happens. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They put her on antibiotics and stuff like that. And, you know, hopefully that'll clear everything up and we won't have to go through that again. Oh, dude. Oh man. It was brutal. It was really brutal.
Scary stuff. Yeah. And a really weird thing is I called my mom yesterday because, you know, I didn't want to call them and freak them out while all of it was going on. Yeah. So I talked to her yesterday and she's like, she kind of was like freaked out because she goes, you know, what's really weird is that yesterday all day I had this really heavy feeling and this weird urge that I needed to pray for Deborah and the baby. Shut up. All day. Weird. And I didn't call her. I didn't tell her. Yeah. And so, like, you know, my mom's not the most religious person in the world. I mean, she's got a real strong faith. But, you know, for her to say that was, you know, kind of out of the blue. Right. And so, you know, that was pretty cool to hear. Absolutely, man. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text address is textmikey at gmail.com. Load that into your phone. Text message us. And give us a call. 570-1053. P1 Robbie Rob Rob. Okay. What's up, Robbie? Hey, good morning, guys. I got married on Saturday. Congrats. Great time. Great weekend. Congratulations, dude. Thank you, guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you on your honeymoon right now? No, I should be leaving for the airport in 45 minutes. We should be leaving. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get used to that word. Yeah. We. And where are we going?
Uh, Oahu. Nice. Oh. Nice. Hey, thank you, bro. Oh, yeah. Thank you, guys. I appreciate it. Hey, uh, we read, we were reading in the newspaper that tourism in Hawaii. is down 50%. Are you kidding? So let me tell you, they're cutting some deals. I heard the tickets are insanely cheap. My hairdresser was telling me. I'm sure they are. I keep seeing, because we watch the HGTV and stuff and the Travel Channel, and they keep playing these same commercials for sandals, those all-inclusive resorts. 55% they say they're cutting prices. Wow. So it's basically like a buy one, get one is what it sounds like. He was because my hairdresser was saying there was like round trip tickets to Hawaii for like two, three hundred bucks. Like stupid cheap. Can you believe that? Stupid. That's unbelievable. Let's go. Dude. Okay, Mike, let's go. Yeah, yeah. Mikey Show Hawaii trip. We'll take the half week and then we'll go. Yeah, let's broadcast from there. Let's get one of these Hawaiian hotels to say, we really want you to broadcast here. Tell your listeners how great it is. Yeah. It's great.
You know what I mean? Yeah. No problem. That's right. P1 Panchito. What's up, dude? How do you say? How do you say? Is muy pitted? It is muy pitted. It is muy pitted. I think that means awesome. I would have to agree with that. It is muy pitted. Yesterday I was rolling around on my stomach laughing like crazy. I love it. Well, thank you very much, P1 Panchito. Hey, but I do have something else to say. Yes. Why haven't I heard from Doña Sky's white manservant, Ramsey? That's a good point. That's a good point. This is not real. That's why. Do you mean in general? Easy explanation. Do you mean in general why have you not heard from Ramsey? Si, si, senor. He's been in Hawaii. Well, you know, Ramsey is around at all times. This is Sky. Oh, stop it.
And Ramsey's around at all times. Isn't that right, Ramsey? He says budget cuts. Okay. What do you mean I says budget cuts? The economy makes me not come on says much. What do you mean, Ramsey? I haven't stopped. That's what you said. Sassy Ramsey. Ramsey. Easy, buddy. How's that feel? That's good. Let me tell you something. I haven't cut your pay. You can't cut zero. Zero plus zero plus zero. My rations. Your what? My rations. You don't get rations. You get leftover Outback. You get Outback scraps. You get all the yummy scraps. There you go, Panchito. Yes, de nada.
Get out of here. P1 Viking. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text is textmikey at gmail.com. Gmail? I love it. Why does it do that? I don't know, Eddie. What is that? I don't know. I'm so ready if I can catch on. It makes it really good. It does? Maybe as a team we could all do it. It's a street cred. People would think we're hard. It gives us a street cred. Or not. Speaking of street cred, I don't know if this story is real. In fact, now the only reason I'm even telling you this story is because it was reported on CNN. And of course it's on gossip sites and stuff like that. But the reason that I'm telling you about this is because it is a news story. Are Rihanna and Chris Brown back together? What? Wouldn't surprise me. Why do they think they're back together, Skye? Well, because according to, I don't know, sources, Rihanna and Chris Brown are held up together in a home owned by P. Diddy near Miami Beach. Allegedly. Now, Chris Brown has been seen out frolicking about.
buy this house. What do you mean fraud? Yeah, what does that mean? Like he's skipping? Basically, skipping. Yeah, no, the past two days he's, because the house, of course, is on the water and has its own private dock and whatever, he's been out jet skiing the past couple days and photographed by, you know, the paparazzi out there jet skiing. Now, Rihanna hasn't been photographed. Here he goes. He's pooping. He's pooping. That is a weird jet ski. Here comes the jet ski. And so, you know, everybody is reporting that Rihanna's there with him and that they have been in contact lately. And recently, she hasn't been cooperating with the investigation. And that for the past, like, three days, they've been in P. Diddy's house there in Miami together. Gangster. Of course, if you haven't heard, Chris Brown allegedly gave her a beat down. Allegedly. The morning before the Grammys. Well, here's the deal. I'm out, Mike. I'm out, Mike. I mean, Skye. Skye, calm down. I'm completely out. I guess you're out on Rihanna, right? Well, I've been out on Chris Brown since the beginning. And now, if this is true, I don't like it, and it makes me not want to support her and her music. Yeah, well, here's the deal. I think that our reaction is that, you know,
You kind of have this thing where, like, Rihanna's your friend. Yeah. And so when you hear that she was beat up, you feel real bad for her. And you know, you don't ever want her to go back to this monster that's beat her. Yes. And so then when you hear that maybe she's back with him, it's just like when your girlfriend does it. Yeah. You're just like, what are you doing? Are you crazy? Don't go back with that guy. You're my girl. And so. Well, first of all, it's important to know. We don't know if it's, you know, could all just be speculation, but maybe they are back together. Who knows? We'll know. Hey, listen, we're going to know. Yes. Later and later. It wouldn't surprise me. We're going to know. That's all I'm saying. Now, well, it wouldn't surprise me necessarily either because if we see other 20 to, you know, if we see other women doing it, why would it surprise us that Rihanna would do it? You know, right? Yeah. It's sad. Yeah, I mean, I guess what I thought, because, you know, domestic violence counselors and stuff, they say, you know, this is common. This, you know, happens. But what I thought would keep her away from Chris Brown would be the spotlight. Yeah. You know, because it's so embarrassing what she went through with everyone watching. And so I would think it would be even more embarrassing to then go back to him. For sure. Oh, it makes me mad. Eddie, what do you think? You know, it's.
It's so weird because we don't know the details of anything. Nothing would make her being hit okay, but we don't know any circumstances or what they're going through or anything. All we know is what we kind of put together ourselves. But is there any circumstance that... would make you think it was all right for her to go back to him? That, I don't know. I was reading in Life and Style this weekend. What was that? Well, listen, Sky, I was reading that Chris Brown, it was self-defense, okay? Okay. So, in that situation... That would be a weird thing for him to say that it was self-defense. Maybe she asked for it. Okay. Ashley. Ashley. Ashley. Kidding. Come on, we make jokes. Holy cow. We do not make jokes like that. Hey, listen. That was Ashley. We do not make those kind of jokes. No one ever asked for it. That was Ashley. That was part of the life or the style in that magazine. Ashley. Oh, my word. Hey, listen. I'm kidding. Let me tell you something. Go ahead, Rob. Go ahead. Well, about that situation, you're saying, you know, all we have is what we make of the story, right?
Hang on. I'm still reeling. I think we should just go home. I'm like, whoa, that's the craziest thing I ever heard in my life. Hey, lady, take it easy. I'm like, what's her problem? I mean, is she nuts? Maybe I found the real killer. Wow. Now, here's the thing that I think about this. I say, if Rihanna and Chris Brown were to ever work things out. If I was a friend of Rihanna's, I would say to Rihanna, if Rihanna called me and said, Chris wants to talk, I would say, well, I think that that is completely in line with what somebody would want to do. He probably does want to talk. Well, what do you think I should do? This would be my advice to Rihanna. Wait a long time.
Well, how long is a long time? I don't know. I can't quantify it exactly, but wait a long time. Well, what am I waiting for? Change. What do you mean change? Well, what I mean by changes is that if you're walking through the forest, right? And you see a tree, you're walking through the jungle and you see a tree and you can't really identify what type of tree it is. I think it's a banana tree. I'm not really sure. It could be a yeah, yeah, yeah kind of tree. I'm not sure. Just wait a little while because you know what happens? Eventually, that tree bears fruit. And so you can take the branch and pull it down. You can kind of dig through all the leaves and everything and go, oh, check it out. It's bananas. It's a banana tree. You know for sure. Eventually, Chris will either bear fruit or he won't bear fruit. You're either going to see something in dude or you're not going to see something in dude. But right now, it's too soon. Right now, it's just a tree with leaves. Now, we know what kind of tree it was before. You got beat up. So if it's going to ever be something different, wait, wait, wait, wait. I'm not convinced that right now it's a different type of tree. Sure. You know what I mean? And so that would be my advice. I'd tell her, run. Don't ever go back to him. Really? You don't think? Well, Skye, but wait a minute.
Go ahead. Go ahead. Well, I understand the whole theory that people can change and people can be sorry. But as far in my opinion, as far as cheating, you know, infidelity and abuse and other things that are really, really serious. permanently damages a relationship. You will never be the same two people and interact in the same way you did prior to that incident. Even if they do change, that's something that will always be in there and it will always affect the way that you two interact and communicate and deal with one another. And, you know, she's so young right now and she has so much. You said that even with your own husband. That your husband used to be the type that cheated. Not on me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not on you. So it never affected the way we interact with one another. But if he cheated on me, even if I forgave him, even if I believed he changed, I would always be suspicious. I think you're right. I would always harass him. We couldn't live in peace together. Now, do you believe that he is capable, your husband, of change? Yes. Okay. And I do, too. I do, too, for the record. And I do believe that people, you guys know me.
You guys know what kind of dude I used to be. And I changed, you know. And so I think that he's capable of change. I agree. I just don't think it is. It's not. I think it's Tuesday. It happened five minutes ago. Yeah. I think, yeah, one of the key components to all this is how young these kids are. They're so young. They're not married. There's no reason they have to be together. There isn't. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. But they're so young and they're in love. Even something like this, they're blinded to a lot of stuff. They'll figure it out. Eventually, it'll either work out or it won't. I hope it doesn't. Don't you think that? There should be something released clearing up some of this, because I think for her fans that are young girls, this is sending a horrible message. Great point. And I mean, for nothing else, because I don't care personally what either of them do. You know, it don't affect me in any way.
It does, though. It affected the way you watch TV, Rob. Those Double Mint commercials, like, you're not even on anymore. I got over it real quick. And when they put those, Taylor Swift, is that her name? Oh, the Juicy Fruits. Yeah, when they put those Juicy Fruit commercials, I forgot about the other. That was awesome, pretending you didn't know who she was, too. That was good. I like that. Well done. So I think there should be, her people should be more responsible. I don't think they can. Legally, I don't think they can. I mean, they got to do something because there's going to be, there's stuff like this right now that, you know, people are going to make up. That's a great point. I just. I don't know. There's too many young girls out there that are going to be affected by this, and whether they know it or not. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Mikey, Chris Brown and Rihanna are this generation's Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's minus the drugs. That's P1 Andrew, the Frake Train. Oh, no. Mikey, Tina Turner. Remember that story? Well, Tina Turner was abused by Ike Turner. She went back to him again and again, and he continued to do the same thing again and again. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Hey, guys, just wanted to say I saw Watchmen last night. It was pretty good. What do you think, Eddie? What? I can't wait. I'm reading this novel. It's crazy. Eddie, he says the movie is very long. Oh, I don't doubt it. I don't know how they're going to make this into a movie, but I can't wait to see it. I was supposed to go to the premiere tonight, but I don't know if I'm going to make it now. Yeah. He says it's certainly not a family movie. All in all, quite enjoyable. P1 Bobcat.
I'm supposed to go tonight. Yes, guys. I don't like the words. We're going to share popcorn. Long and not a family movie. These things make me nervous. These things make me nervous. Yes. Sky kind of likes the easier movies to look at kind of deal. Is Meg Ryan in this? I don't think so. She thinks that Pineapple Express was really scary and violent. Yeah, too much. Pineapple Express. Too much, bro. Yeah, I don't think The Watchmen is directed by Nora Ephron. No, it's directed by the guy that made 300. Oh, no. Sky. Think about it. I like that. Think about it. This is not cool. Wow, Sky. You're fine. Everything's fine. No one's fine. Everybody's fine. P1, Jenna. Jenna, are you there? Oh, no. Oh, my goodness. Hi, Jenna. Hi, Jenna. Where'd you go? So there's that. And then what else? Oh, do we have time or we got to move? Yeah, like a minute. Oh, man. I didn't have enough time. We can break. Yeah, we got it. We have to. And the texts are coming in. I'll tell you who it is when we come back. And ladies and gentlemen, got a little Dave Attell. Is it Dave Attell? Yes, Dave Attell in the stand-up spotlight. Stand-up spotlight. 105.3. You gotta make your own little fun. That's the way I see it. Go out, have a couple of drinks. Why not?
You know, my drink is Jack Daniels. Yes. That is a wild man drink. That should come with bail money. You know what I'm saying? Because on Jack, you don't know where you're going to end up. But you know when you get there, you won't be wearing any pants. That's the way it works. I'm drinking Jack and I started blacking out. You ever black out? Or as I call it, time travel. You ever do that? Oh, yeah. You know how it is. You're drinking, you blackout, you wake up, you're in another bar, you're drinking, you blackout, you wake up, you're playing that knife game with a half Indian somewhere in North Dakota. Dinner fixes the tranny. Yeah. You wake up, you're in White Castle, working there three years, still not assistant manager. Oh, you don't even know what stupid is. The Mikey Show is on. The ride is still looking pretty good. There is this one accident, though, working northbound 15 past the 52 involving a school bus, which is empty, and another car here blocking the fast lane. And that's causing a backup here approaching Clermont Mesa Boulevard. Next slow go, we're all the way up to the accident scene. So there's brake lights there. South 15 starting to see some slow traffic out of Escondido now off to 78 and pockets down at the Arancho Parkway. Looks great, though, past that car. East County is moving right along. South big traffic is doing well into the city also. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Sanjaya. What's going on, Mikey? What's going on, dude? You went to sleep train? I went out to sleep train and bought myself a mattress finally. When did you do it? I went this Sunday, actually. Cool. What did you get? Yeah, I got a Beautyrest Comfort Classic. Did they deliver it Sunday, Monday, or when? Sunday when I told them to because I was moving that day. Really? It worked out perfect. That's pretty awesome. Yeah.
Did they take your, well, wait a minute. If you were moving, did they have to take your set or did you get rid of it yourself? No, I got rid of it myself. So they bring the new one in. Did they set it up for you? They set it up for me within like five minutes. And how did it feel that first night? Just like being in heaven. That's awesome, man. That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, I tell people about Sleepton. Did they give you a good price? Oh, yeah, dude. I went in there after the promotion about getting everything for free. And the dude's still doing everything for free. And after I told him that Mikey sent me personally, he knocked off 700 bucks. That's awesome. Yeah. All right, brother. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, dude. Talk to you later, man. Sleep change your ticket to a better night's sleep. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I got a two-year-old son. I have a wife named Rebecca. Eddie. Daddy had some drinks. That's right. Sky. You know, because I don't buy dessert, because I shouldn't eat dessert. Boston Rob. I'm a romantic. I can't help that. And Ashley. Wake up! The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Now, with What's Up in Your World, this is The Mikey Show 360. There is one of our listeners. He says that the...
The techno music drives him nuts in this movie. And so, if you would like to suggest a new music thing here, because I'm not saying I'm in love with it. I'm not, you know. I'm thinking like steel drums. Yeah. Something like that. Yeah, I support that. Yeah, right? I mean, don't we kind of owe it to ourselves to search for some really hot steel drum music? I would think that would be good. Some stuff that really just kind of rocks it. The 360s where we talk about stuff that's happening in the world. And one of the things that's going on is that L.A. Times has made this pretty strong statement about an A-list celebrity saying that he may be schizophrenic. And his people are not digging it. Sky, who is it? Well, they are talking about Joaquin Phoenix. Well, then they're right. Yeah. Now, so if you don't know, Joaquin Phoenix claims he's given up acting and is now a rapper. And he's going around sporting this big, crazy beard. And he seems like out of it all the time and interviews and stuff like that. So sunglasses. Yeah. The whole business suit. Weird. Real weird. Yeah.
So the L.A. Times, you know, was talking about it and they talked to a Chicago-based psychiatrist to get their opinion of Joaquin Phoenix and his behavior. And that psychiatrist, without ever meeting Joaquin or, you know, having a sit down or anything, says that he might be schizophrenic. And the L.A. Times went ahead and printed that. And like Mikey said, this outraged Joaquin Phoenix and his rep. You know, his rep said that it's absolutely inappropriate for a doctor who's had no personal interaction or relationship with someone to diagnose them like that and to do it in such a public forum. I'm going to defend the L.A. Times. Oh, do it. Well, I agree with the rep that, yes, you know, listen, if you're going to diagnose someone, you must meet with them. However. If you go to a psychiatrist and you ask a psychiatrist to comment on what this particular observation and behavior usually equals, I think it's fair for a psychiatrist to say, well, when I've seen this in my practice before, here's what it indicates. Now, to diagnose Joaquin Phoenix, I guess you can't do that. But I think that it's fair to say what...
this behavior looks like. Here's what I think. I think he's doing a bit. I think Joaquin Phoenix is doing a bit. But if you're going to do the bit, bro, you can't expect everybody to go along with it exactly the way that you want it to be. You look like a nut and therefore people are going to say you might be a nut. Yes. If you're going to walk around with a Bachman Turner overdrive beard and act like a crackpot. Seriously, dude. Would it be going along with the bit that he's like outraged and upset? Yeah, yeah. So maybe he's just playing along. All four of his personalities commented on it. You know what, though? Ash is right. I didn't even think of that. Like, okay, let's say you're doing a bit, right? And your bit is that you are this kind of kooky rap artist. What would be in keeping with that? I guess saying you're outraged. There is nothing wrong with me. I'm just kind of eccentric. Well, yeah, if his people, you know. are saying, you know, they're mad and they want an apology. Like that adds fuel to the bit. Sure. It absolutely does. Makes it real. True. Who in the room knows who Paul Harvey is? I do. I do. Ashley does not know. I don't. And Rob does not know. Ashley's 25. Rob is 12. No. Ashley's 25. Rob's 26. My wife didn't know who Paul Harvey was. She's 33. She didn't know who he was.
Paul Harvey died. And Paul Harvey is the guy that made this phrase very popular. Paul Harvey. Good day. I told my wife, Paul Harvey, good day. And she was like, I have no idea what you're talking about. That's right. Good day. Hello, Americans. This is Paul Harvey. Stand by for news. That was it. It was awesome. Stand by for news. The only reason I really know who Paul Harvey is is because when Mikey and I worked at a radio station in Rochester, New York, the guy we did the show with did a Paul Harvey impression. And I was 19 at the time. I had no idea who Paul Harvey was. But we would write bits for Paul Harvey with me not knowing even who Paul Harvey is. No way. Yeah. And Paul Harvey would end each thing. Good day. Good day. News. Stand by for news. So goofy. Sky, you have to do that now. Yes, Sky. All day today. No. In honor. Tribute. In honor of you as a tribute. Kind of awesome. I think it would be weird. Stand by for news. Have some fun with it. Here was another one of his big famous sayings. Now you know the rest of the story. Now that one I don't remember. So good. That one I don't remember. I mean, I know he said it, but I don't remember hearing him say it. And here's the other thing. I don't even know if dude was still.
on the radio at the time of his death. Like, was he still doing it? If he was, I don't know that I'm really listening to the stations he might have been on. Yeah, they say he'd been hosting his show part-time for ABC for most of the past year. And Paul Harvey. Good day. Good day. News. Stand by for news. News. Sky, I think you should adopt all of his sayings today. I don't think so. Work them in. We should hear it one more time so Sky can really get it imprinted. No, I would not do that. Paul Harvey. Good day. There you go, Sky. Oh, Sky, you can totally do that. Sky, give it a shot. Let me let you hear another one. Hello, Americans. This is Paul Harvey. Stand by for news. That one you really didn't use. Sky is an artist. And she needs to sort of absorb before she does. She's got to absorb it. I think I got it. She's professional. So give it a shot, Sky. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do it. All right, one more time. Hello, Americans. This is Paul Harvey.
Stand by for news. Give it a shot. Can you hear the inflection of the news? And the little whistle at the end. News. News. News. Stand by for news. There goes Skye. She's working it out. Skye. Or not. No. I'm not going to do that. What do you mean you're not going to do it? Well, because. That's what I'm saying. But as a tribute, as a tribute, I think all news people today should do this. You are a journalist. That's right. I think that was his deal. Let's leave it to him. Oh, man. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Did you guys hear Ashley say that really weird thing earlier? Well, it wasn't weird as much as inappropriate. Or awful. Or, yeah. Well, we can't repeat it. It was kind of awful. Hey, Rachel Ray is admitting. Check this out, Eddie. By the way, by the way, Eddie's comments about Rachel Ray were a big source of conversation at the Sunday night family dinner. Really? Yeah, because mom and dad, my mom and dad, who have known Eddie since he was a kid, were very interested in his thoughts about Rachel Ray. Oh. Eddie's not a fan. Can't stand her. And, you know, my mom is kind of on that boat.
You know, kind of too. Really? Yeah. Dad kind of thinks she's sweet. Oh, dad. And so there was a big, you know, controversy over Eddie's comments. But anyway, Rachel Ray admits that people do, in fact, have a very strong reaction to her. Yeah, people hate you. Well, not everybody, right? Everybody. Nobody likes her. Oh, I like her just fine. No, you do not. Eddie, they were really having a debate over, well, does Eddie not like her? cooking or just her voice? Does he not like her? What is it? It has nothing to do with her cooking. It was a thousand percent her personality and her voice. Like all of it is so grating and annoying. I can't stand it. And that's the deal, right, Skye? Yeah, basically this is really weird. So she was doing an interview and she was asked about this exact topic because I guess Quite a few people discuss this, and there's even websites dedicated to hating Rachel. Can you imagine? Give me the link. Can you imagine? That's awful. That's awful. Yeah. And so she was asked about it, and then she goes on in the interview to say, most of the people who criticize me are absolutely correct. Thank you. She says, I'm loud and I'm goofy.
No, you're obnoxious. And then she goes on to say it's understandable that people have a strong reaction to her because she comes into people's homes every day and to be loud and goofy. She's phony, too. That's what I don't like about her. Well, we don't have to watch her. Oh, I don't. I have to. Why? Because of my girl. She likes her. That 30-minute cooking show, I have to watch it. And sometimes, I don't mind, but the fake stuff. Oh, it's so funny. Because at the end of her show, you know, they're just doing a camera shot of her and the music's playing like right before the credits. And she puts on a smile and it looks like she's like gritting her. And I'm not kidding. She's so warm. Yeah, so warm. I love it. No, no, no. She's like a member of the family. I feel like I'm right there with your cookie. It's like she's a neighbor. She is my neighbor. I would move. It's like she's the girl next door. I would move. She's my girl next door. I went and borrowed an egg from her yesterday. Yeah, that's right. An egg? Yeah, an egg. What's an egg? And borrowed an egg from her because she's that kind of neighbor. Yeah, makes me feel like I've known her forever. Forever. That's sweet. That's nice. Give me a fruitcake at Christmas. She's great. Fruitcake? That's good. Who would want that? Yeah. Well, I'm on the other side. Not on digging her. I'm on the other side. See, I'm not a big fan of Rachel. First of all, Eddie talked me out of Rachel. I'm telling you. He did.
He talked me right out of her. She has great ideas, though. No, see, that's where I'm the... That's where I disagree. The food, not... It's very as the crow flies. Yes, very basic. Ashley says that as the crow flies means that it's very basic. Gets the job done, but very basic. And I am a fan of that. In 30 minutes, what do you expect? I don't dig the stuff, though. Oh, I do. Well, some of the stuff. Whenever she uses chicken. I love the fact that she's not a trained chef. Yeah. And has to say that on the air. I love it. Eddie also pointed out that he hates that if you're going to call it EVOO, you know, your cute little name. Yeah. You're going to abbreviate it. If you're going to abbreviate it, then what's the point of then immediately saying. Extra virgin olive oil. She has to explain what EVOO is because there's new people listening. But then what's the point of abbreviating it if you're going to explain it? I appreciate that. What cider do you want? Get off the fence, man. I don't like to fake smile, but I enjoy the meal. You know?
No, I don't. Come on. I do not. Let me tell you. She's made some stuff that I can't disagree with. You like her with the Dunkin' Donuts stuff? Hey, no. No, absolutely not. Well, why not? You're in on her. No, no, no. I'm not in on the personality. I'm in on the cooking side of her. Skye, do you have an opinion about Rachel Ray? No, I couldn't care less. Couldn't care less. You don't like her, you don't dislike her. What's the matter with you? Oh, what's the matter you? I'm sorry I'm not sitting around watching cooking shows all day like you boys. What's the matter you, Scottie? Cooking and chat fans. What's the matter you? I thought you were a bigger fan. What's the matter you? You guys are so dumb. A girl says mozzarella once. That's all it takes. That's all it takes. Okay, listen. A couple of things. First of all, Ed McMahon has been hospitalized. Dude, I didn't know that. And I'll tell you why when we come back. But, but, but, but, but. This is the thing. When we come back, we're going to the Oracle. And let me tell you something. I've been chomping at the bit since we started the show this morning to hear from Eddie and to discuss, discuss, discuss. Because let me tell you, every dude listening right now that loves football and every chick listening, all four of you, that just absolutely follow the free agent market. I need to know. Follow the free agent market.
There have been some big names in the free agent market, least of which affected Boston Robb very dramatically. In fact. Nothing happened. In fact. Nothing happened. Boston Robb said that over the weekend, he had to deal with this news. Nothing happened. He says he had to deal with this news. So when we come back. Yeah. Some news you got to deal with. First of all, I'm going to tell you why Ed McMahon has been hospitalized, and then Eddie is diving in in the sports dirt. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rates apply. It's the P1 Text Army. All right, what are you doing for lunch today? It's Boston Rob, and I want to tell you a little story about what I did for lunch last week. Now, I have not been to Arby's in... And I'm talking ages. So I kind of forgot all about their menu, what they had. There's one right down the street from my house. And I kept telling Sarissa, we got to go there. I went to Arby's last week. You did? Yeah. All right. So I went there and they got this new thing. You know what's weird? I wanted to go to Arby's last week. You should have. I passed it, but I was like, I got to go to Arby's. Dude, they got this new thing called the Arby's Roast Burger. So it's basically their lean roast beef.
And which is, if you're a fan of roast beef, you got to get the Arby's roast beef. It is peppered in a char-boiled seasoning. So it's tender. It's delicious. It's the best. And it's not going to weigh you down. You know, some fast food places might weigh you down a little bit. But this thing, it's all dressed up like a hamburger. So I got the Bacon Blue. Now, that's the title of it. And it's... Pepper bacon, blue cheese spread, and then I got lettuce and onion, no tomato, and they'll do it just how you want it. I'm getting that today. Dude. That's perfect. The blue cheese spread is om- Oh, my Lord. You just have to go and get it. And it's affordable, too. You know, if I'm going somewhere, it's going to be affordable. So that's going to save money in your pocket. They also got the All-American and the Bacon Cheddar. So you can get this any way you want. And you got to stop into Arby's today. I'm saying go there for lunch. And you got to love it at first bite or they'll make it right. So if you try a roast burger and you don't like it, you'll get a new sandwich for free. So that's how Arby's is doing it, man. So get down to Arby's today.

serious condition and that they appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers. Ed McMahon's 85 years old and he's been in the hospital nearly a month for pneumonia and what they're calling other medical problems. Now, people are reporting some of the gossip websites, like the TMZ and other things, are reporting that it's like a bone cancer thing, but his rep isn't saying that. What his rep is specifically saying, pneumonia and, quote, other medical problems. So we don't really know what's going on, but his rep has confirmed he's in the hospital in serious condition. with two other guys are missing and have been missing nearly a day off the Florida coast. Oh, wow. Which is crazy. I guess they went on a fishing trip, and there was no May Day or anything. They've just been gone, and they can't get a hold of them. Really? So, yeah, this is Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquise Cooper's wife, Rebecca, talking about his ability on the boat. There's nowhere else I would feel more confident than him on a boat. A lot of faith in him out there. Regardless of what they might be facing, I know that he can pull through it. Dude. Scary, man. What is going on? Was there like a big storm? Do they know? I don't know. I haven't heard about that. He's just missing out there. He's just missing out there. Here's the Coast Guard Captain Timothy Close from the U.S. Coast Guard talking about the search efforts. We're very focused on the activities we have going right now. We have additional vessels and aircraft crews lined up to continue the search. Oh, man, dude.
It's just crazy after talking to John Silverwood about that 48-hour story, which I just watched on Saturday to hear about this. What did you think? I actually thought that our interview with him was much more compelling than the television show was. And more exclusive. We got a lot more details. I was filling my friends in on details that the show wasn't covering that we knew because John had told us. It was interesting, but I was like, wow, our interview was better. I agree. I actually thought we got more from it, you know, through talking to him in the studio. Now, if you don't know what we're talking about, CBS has a show called 48 Hours Mystery. It's on Saturday night's fantastic show. And they're doing a series, which I think they just wrapped up. I think this may have been the last one, right, Skye? Yeah, they did three of them. And it was a story of a guy from right here in San Diego. that went out onto the ocean with his family, and they sailed for a few years before anything bad happened. Then two years into the trip, they hit a reef and...
It was bad. Yeah, real bad. 2,500-pound mass fell on this guy's legs and basically amputated one of his legs because it hit so hard. And it was just the story of their rescue, how long the rescue took, just all kinds of stuff. How he almost died, lost three-quarters of his blood. One of the facts that they talked about on the show that he didn't mention in here was that this guy had stopped drinking for 12 years and suddenly started drinking again when he was out there. Which was fascinating, man. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah, because that was one of the things. In the press clippings where they were kind of talking about what the show was going to be about, one of the things that they mentioned was that there was a lot of emotional baggage going on out at sea. And he didn't really talk about that part of it when he was in here. And on the show, they covered it. But, Eddie, I couldn't agree with you more, dude. I thought that we got more out of them, you know? We did. It was a good show. All right, so this is an unbelievable story. It's hard to believe, but the Broncos wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, was arrested again. No, dude, are you serious? He was arrested in Atlanta and booked with the Atlanta City Jail on disorderly conduct. Not a lot of details, but reports are he got into some sort of fight. Now, this is the fourth arrest for Marshall since March of 2006. If you'll remember, he was actually suspended with that code of conduct.
Thing at the beginning part of last year. Originally suspended for three games. They reduced it to one. But now, I mean, he's going to be in big trouble now. This is going to also show us, well, what's their new head coach all about? How's he going to handle this? What's his first big, you know, I guess, controversy? Well, here we go. NFL transactions. Lots of free agent moves. One of the big moves that happened after we got off the show on Friday was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers acquiring tight end Kellen Winslow from the Cleveland Browns for undisclosed draft picks. Dude. So obviously the Browns and Kellen Winslow not having a good relationship at all. He claimed that the Browns and their facility gave him a staph infection. And there was a whole bunch of other... Yeah, dude. It happened a lot. It's like a breakout at that Cleveland Browns facility. Bust out some bleach and a mop. For sure. Thank you. But yeah, the Browns didn't like how Kellen Winslow handled it. And obviously, Kellen Winslow didn't like how the Browns handled it. What do you think of him as a buck, Eddie? And what does that do for that team? Does it make much of a difference? Does it make a big difference? If he can stay healthy, Kellen Winslow's biggest...
problem is that he just can't stay on the field. If he's healthy, he's one of the best tight ends in football. Does it raise his value as a fantasy football guy? I liked him in that Cleveland Brown offense. It was pretty wide open, and he had a lot of ability to get a lot of receptions and stuff like that. I don't know that Tampa, well, they have a new head coach, so it depends if they change up their offensive strategy. I'm sure they will now if they have Kellen Winslow. utilize him quite a bit more. He'll probably be pretty good. The Patriots, they had a lot of action, including citing veteran running back Fred Taylor. Fred Taylor. What, Eddie? I don't know. Just a little thing like trading Matt Castle, quarterback Matt Castle, and veteran linebacker Mike Rabel to New England Patriots for only A 2009 second-round draft pick. Eddie? It's a severance package. Yes, sir. But what happened to Rob's two-quarterback offense? Oh, that is no more. We're not going to go with that now. No? But that was your plan, bro. Yeah, that was my plan. I don't understand. I don't understand how they only got a second-round draft pick. I would have thought...
they would just get a second round draft pick for just Mike Vrabel. But for Matt Castle, who obviously is one of the prized guys out there right now, to only get a second round pick for both of them, I don't know what's going on. I don't want Rob to get upset. It's going to be tough. But I'm about to say something very controversial. Do it. We know that Bill Belichick was cheating before. Because he was videotaping other teams during their practices. That's an interesting point, yeah. Rob, I love you, bro. Okay, go ahead. Finish up your thing. I'm not saying anything is going on wrong here. I'm just saying I think I see a little shenanigans. Maybe, maybe. Shenanigans? There has to be. And I'm not the only one. Absolutely. In fact, this morning on ESPN, there were a couple guys that were like, just seems a little odd. Yeah. That Mike Pioli...
Scott Peoli is the new GM over there at the Chiefs. And obviously, you know, he knows, you know, he knows Belichick. And this deal just got done. And you're like kind of scratching your head going, man, doesn't make any sense. Doesn't make any sense that he didn't get like he could have got a lot more than just a second round pick. Like, I wonder if there's any conversations that they're having we don't know about. Like what? Like I don't. It could be like one of those things where you go, hey, listen, I know you're privy to information. You know, we'll give you these guys for this. You know, which isn't. So like blackmail? Or what about this? Or what about this? What about this? I tell you what. Give me these two guys right now. I'll give you a second round pick. And we can't put this on the record and we can't do it right now. But I'll tell you what. We will, in the future, like da-da-da-da-da, don't know when, blah-blah-blah, give you. But don't you think, like, they're just going to go, all right, we'll make this the cover-up, just the second round draft pick, and that won't make anyone suspicious. It is making people suspicious. Dude, aren't you? Wouldn't they have done more? No, I just think they kind of freaked, and they let this deal go down.
Without really getting compensated all the way. But I think Belichick has a difference. They're not dumb, dude. What are they freaking out about? They freed up a lot of space. I don't know. And that's what I've been trying to read and trying to figure out. That they freed up, you know, like 17 million. And that there's going to be some kind of signing with all that money. They've already re-signed James Sanders. But I was telling you that a while ago. There was no reason to invest that much money into two quarterbacks. And you were like, no, no, it's great. I love it. Yeah, but if we didn't franchise tag him, then he could have just left and we would have gotten nothing. Okay, okay. But here's my question. We're getting something now. A second round draft pick for your supposed franchise guy. If you franchise tag the guy and somebody else signs him, then you get two first round draft picks. Okay. That's what he's worth. Two first round draft picks. Okay. Okay. So now when you trade him, you only get with Mike Vrabel, who's a good player. Oh, he's one of the best. No, he's not. Actually, he is. Actually, he's not. Look it up. He's a very good player, but he's not one of the best. The best. To only get a second round draft pick out of it is weird. Hey, man. Dude, Teddy, wouldn't Vrabel be worth a second round draft pick?
I wouldn't give a second round draft pick for him. But if that were to happen, I wouldn't be like, oh, that's crazy. But you add Matt Castle to it. Matt Castle? The quarterback. It doesn't make any sense. Mike Vrabel's worth the first round draft pick. No, he's not. Let me tell you something. Best guys in the locker room. If Scott Pioli, who just became the GM for the Chiefs, had not come from the New England Patriots, I don't know that I'm like, hmm. Collusion. But the fact that, you know what I mean? It's kind of like Kevin McHale. No, Rob, it's not like Kevin McHale. Yeah, letting go of Kevin Garnett to go to the Celtics. It's exactly like that, man. You genuinely don't think it's weird, Rob? Like, genuinely, from the bottom of your heart, you genuinely don't think it's weird. Your team got shafted. Are you all right with this? Because even I think that's not weird. Belichick has done crazier things than this, man. Yeah, one time he videotaped the other team's practice. I thought that's what he was going to say. I thought that's what he was going to say. And if we didn't do that, we would have never won. Right? It's possible. Yeah, I'm sure.
Listen, have fun playing Matt Castle twice a year. Text us. Hey, I'd love to. He's a good player. I don't think he's that great. Oh, dude. Okay. He's had one year. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Watch, Eddie. Oh, Will. The text says, the Patriots turned down the 12th overall pick in a three-way deal. I'm calling shenanigans. Haven't heard that. Okay. Well, there was discussions with the Denver Broncos about possibly a three-way trade trading. Jay Cutler. What? Yeah. And Jay Cutler found out about it and now is so angry he's not even speaking to the Broncos. What? And it's like a mess. It's a huge mess. And we know that Josh McDaniels, their new head coach, was the offensive coordinator over New England. Oh, it's so shady. Dude. Dude. Why wouldn't there be dealings like that? Like, of course, Belichick, these are his boys. What do you mean? You're going to trade Jake Cutler, the all-pro quarterback, Jake Cutler, who's young? It doesn't make any sense. But, of course, I mean, these guys that just came from the Patriots, Belichick's going to deal with them before anyone else. Maybe he's got, you know.
Keep drinking your Kool-Aid over there. Drink your Belichick Kool-Aid. Drink your Kool-Aid. P1 lifted. P1 lifted here. I think the trade was incredible. Mike Vable, he's going to start the downward spiral of his career. Matt Castle, one great year, still unproven though. You have to have at least two or three great years before you can get even nominated for a first round pick. I think it evens out. Hey, P1 lifted. There you go, man. P1 Lifted. Yes, sir. If I understand you correctly, you're saying, oh, yeah, Matt Castle, Mike Vrabel, they're not worth more than a second-round pick. No, but what he's saying is that... Wait, wait, wait. I want to see if that's what he's saying. That's not what I said. What I said is Mike Vrabel is on the downward spiral of his career now. He's 33 or 34. Okay. He's on the downward spiral, so that's the third-round pick right there. So let me ask you again. Let me ask you again. So what you're saying is you think that Matt Castle, And Mike Vrabel are not worth more than a second-round pick. Maybe a second and a third. Not a first. No, not a first. Definitely not. You think it's fair. And maybe Belichick sees something, dude, when he let go of Deion Branch. Dude, what did Deion Branch do after that? Dude, we're not talking about Deion Branch, though. We're not talking about Deion Branch. They didn't ever franchise Deion Branch. That's a very uninformed opinion, Rob. You've got to know that Deion Branch was a system guy.
It had nothing to do with his ability. He was playing in a certain system that made him real good in New England and then went to Seattle where they don't run that same system, which, you know, it had nothing to do with, like, Belichick saw, oh, Deion Branch, you're not that good. Okay, then that was unaffordable. I'm just saying, Belichick... He might act smarter than everyone else, but dude does something right and wins, man. I don't disagree with you. So how can you disagree with that? I don't disagree. I just think something's up. No one's disagreeing. I think something's up. Something is up. Something is up, dude. Dirty. When it comes out, or if it comes out, then you guys can bask in your glory. But if it doesn't, if it doesn't, then, I mean, just leave it alone. Let me tell you. Is there an investigation? No. No. I wonder if there will be a... I wonder if the NFL... Dude, you are like the loose change people with the 9-11 period. Okay, okay, I'm... No, no, no, no. Hey, man. Maybe I'm trying to see... Interesting reference. Maybe I'm trying to see O'Donnell called and said you're crazy. Interesting reference. Crazy. Could be. Hold on a minute. You know, you've seen trades happen in the NFL. You've seen, you know, free agent signing. You've seen a lot of stuff, right? Uh-huh.
So you look at this. I mean, this is involving your team, which got the shaft. You got the lower end of the deal. And you're not calling a little bit of shenanigans on this? You're not saying this looks a little weird? No. You said no, perfectly fair. I don't think it's perfectly fair. I just think Belichick has other plans. I'm sure he does. Or maybe you think he knows something that Scott Pioli doesn't know. Maybe he knows that in actuality, this Matt Castle, he's a bum. And this Mike Vrabel, he's a bum. And so Belichick knows this. Read the comments that he wrote about Mike Vrabel. P1 Johnny. What do you think? It's all about the money. What it is is he got rid of Castle and Rabel to shore up at least $14 million for Castle. I don't know how much Rabel's cost. $4 million.
And you're telling me that all he can get is a second-round pick? That's all he can get? That's the thing that doesn't seem right. I understand him. He could have just released Mike Vrabel, but he wanted to get something for him. And Matt Castle, obviously you're not going to keep two quarterbacks who are getting paid $30 million combined. You can't do that to your roster. That's why I was crying way back when they franchise-tagged him. It didn't make any sense. So I understand all that. They want to get that money off the books. But you're telling me you can't get more than a second round draft pick for that? That doesn't make any sense. Question. Because this is such a great topic and I am so into this. Like to me, I couldn't wait to hear what Eddie was going to say. Okay, Eddie, did the Chargers sign anybody in free agency? Not one person. Nobody yet. It's early. Let's all relax. There were some other signings if you want me to run over real quick. Sure, sure, sure. The Broncos made some other deals. They agreed to terms with running backs Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington. The Jets...
Acquired cornerback Lito Shepard from the Philadelphia Eagles for two undisclosed draft picks. The Houston Texans signed quarterback Dan Orlovsky from the Lions. The Cowboys, they were a little busy. They acquired quarterback John Kitna from the Detroit Lions for cornerback Anthony Henry and then signed linebacker Keith Brooking from the Atlanta Falcons to a three-year contract. The Broncos also signed safety Brian Dawkins from the Philadelphia Eagles, which is a big signing. The Lions, they signed running back Maurice Morris from the Seattle Seahawks. And a couple other names, but nothing of note. Big names out there, man. Lots of crazy stuff. Did you guys know six of the seven San Diego Westfield malls are changing their hours because of the economy? What? Yep. And it's going to affect us one way or another, so I'll tell you which ones of them they are. I'll tell you about that when we come back. Great show, everybody. Great show. Cock-a-doodle-doo? They are going to be changing their hours because the economy is not good. Which ones are we talking, Sky?
Well, this is weird. So I guess the only one that hasn't changed their hours at all is Horton Plaza. Really? Yeah. And then keep in mind, they say that these hour changes don't affect the department stores. They just affect all the other stores that are within the mall. Okay, I have an ignorant question to ask. And go. Well, first of all, I never really paid attention that a bunch of malls here in the county were called Westfield. Yeah. You know, but I guess a bunch of them are. Yeah, like Mission Valley, North County Fair, Bonita, Horton Plaza. Yeah, there's seven of them around the county. And so Horton Plaza is cool. Yeah, Horton Plaza is not changing their hours at all. Now, for all the other Westfield shopping plazas or whatever the heck they're called around the county, they're all changing their hours. But just to make it real nice and easy for them, they're all changing them differently. Really? Yeah, so it's not consistent throughout. Makes perfect sense. It's really good. So mainly what they're doing is opening a half hour later and closing a half hour earlier. But it's kind of different. Like at North County Fair, they're doing the half hour on both sides, Monday through Friday. And then Saturday, they're doing 10 to 8. And Sunday, they're doing 11 to 6. But then at Mission Valley, it's exactly the same. But on Saturday, they're going to open at 1030 instead of 10, like North County Fair. So they're all a little.
bit different so um if you want to be an early shopper or a late shopper i would suggest you go to you know the west fields uh website and check specifically but you know overall they're taking off a half hour on each end yeah you would think that you'd want to stay open later to do more business. Yeah, well, I guess they say because people aren't shopping as much, and so it's costing the shop owners more to stay open in electricity and employees and all that. It's costing them more than they're actually making during those early and later hours of the day. I heard that Boston Rob shops so much that he has a book called Confessions of a Shopaholic. Really? I heard that that's the deal, and so I'm really wanting to pick it up. Sounds queer. I didn't know he was. Okay. I have to agree with that. That's weird. I didn't know that. Well, there it is. Now you know. Now you know. Okay, get ready for this one because this one's a doozy. Oh, boy. There was a woman in Dayton, Ohio, and she was apparently driving around in her car talking about her cell phone. That's illegal, Mike. Yes, it is. You can't do that here. You are supposed to. Hands free. In California. Yeah, hands free. You must be hands free. You cannot be talking about that. But this woman was driving around in Ohio.
talking on her cell phone, and breastfeeding her child. She's a multitasker. She was a multitasker for sure. This is the kind of baby we have here. Janine Compton says when her one-year-old daughter Ariel is hungry, she can't wait to breastfeed her, and it doesn't matter if she's in the middle of an interview with us or while she's driving a car. Eddie's face right now. Eddie, that's what you and your wife have planned, right? Totally. Eddie's hand over his face. Today, Compton received a ticket from the Kettering Police Department for not having her young child in a seat restraint. We have no issue with her breastfeeding in public. Our issue and our concern, of course, is the safety of the child. Yeah, well, yeah. Our issue is that she's on the cell phone driving and breastfeeding. Baby's got to eat. Yeah, but the baby... When the baby wants to eat, baby wants to eat. Yeah, I understand. Can you hear my baby? What do you mean? What's that baby? What are you going to do? Compton got the ticket after a passing motorist said he saw Compton breastfeeding. Imagine looking over to your right and seeing that business going on.
Oh, wow. Ariel while driving. It's an accusation she doesn't deny. I did it? What? My baby was hungry. What are you going to do? Get out of my face. I'll cut you. If they were hungry, they would feed their baby in the car. But Compton says she doesn't deserve the ticket because a police officer didn't witness the offense. What? How does that work? Well, he didn't see it. Yeah. So then it didn't happen. It doesn't count. But she admitted it. It didn't happen unless he saw it. She said it. She said it. The fact that you're willing to write a ticket based on only one side, I have a problem with that. But your side is you did it. You said that you did it. Do you remember the phrase? I've got the transcript here. Do you remember the phrase?
baby was hungry. This mom of five says she usually pulls over to breastfeed her baby. Thursday, Ariel was exceptionally fussy. But that particular morning, she wasn't patient. She wasn't willing to wait for her milk at that time. So, how did she get her out of the car seat then? Eddie. What do you mean? Was she driving at the time? No, Eddie, you gotta wait for a stoplight. And then you put your car in park real quick and then you go whoop. But the car seat should be in the back seat. You've got to lean over. That's why you put the car in park so you can take your feet off the brake. That's right. You think that's confusing, Eddie. You should see her change the baby. I don't want to. That's a crazy story. That's unbelievable. That is a very crazy story. And it is dangerous. That's awful. So, yeah, I'm guessing maybe the kid was in a car seat, started crying, needed to get fed, pulled over, got the kid out of the car seat, put her on her lap, started breastfeeding, and let's do this. And was talking on the phone. Yeah, was that before or after she made the phone call? Right. Oh, wow. That's brutal. I bet that sounds like fun. No. Fun. No. Now she's in trouble. Good. Let's see. What else I got? Oh, how about this?
Record temperatures over the weekend here in San Diego. Yeah. Record temperatures. Toasty. What's that? Oh, yeah. We're very lucky to be living where we're living, you know, compared to other parts of the country right now. But, yeah, high temperatures at the Wild Animal Park in Escondido. A new record was set. 89 degrees. Really? Yeah. I didn't think it was that hot. And, Sky, don't forget about Paul Harvey. End each of your sentences today with the way that Paul Harvey did. Paul Harvey. Good day. 89 degrees. Good day. Anyway. Not anyway. That was close, guys. Good day, not anyway. The previous record for the Wild Animal Park was 83 degrees. That was set back in 1992. Yeah, you're supposed to say D's grease. They also said record high. Because it's a tribute today to all big broadcasters. He passed away. No, no, no. Rick D's still with us, Eddie. No, I see that. Rick D's still with us. He's actually still with us. Hello, Americans. This is Paul Harvey.
Stand by for news on the sky. Record highs were also recorded in other parts of Escondido as well as Brownfield. They say La Mesa and Ramona tied their record highs, which were in the mid-80s. It was warm. Yeah, they say La Mesa 85, Ramona 83 yesterday. Let's not freak out here. Let's not, you know, come on. Calm down, everybody. But these are record highs. I mean, it's kind of out of the norm. It's not like it's 100 degrees, homie. But it's out of the norm for this time of year. I remember last year. Remember we had a pool built last year? Yeah. I remember we stuck that solar panel up there that heated the water. We were able to swim last March because for two weeks it was hot. It was really hot. And so maybe we'll get a little heat wave here and then it goes back to normal. Cannonball. Cannonball. Yeah. Well, they said by Tuesday it's going to cool down and they're predicting a very slight chance of rain. Here we go, Scott. A slight chance of rain. What time? A slight chance of rain. Is that a guaranteed slight? No, no. Just a slight chance through the rest of the week from Tuesday on. Fine. Take your wood for it. So, no. Yep. Rain jacket on Wednesday. I'm going to hold you to that. My slicker ready.
Okay. I don't watch Storytellers on VH1, but I know about it. I didn't. I thought the idea was they talk, then they play. They talk, then they play. Right? No? Yeah. I don't know. I assume so, yeah. Yeah, that's how it was at least back in the day. I haven't seen it forever. But yeah, they play a song. They talk about the stories of the song and how it came about. Kanye West just did a VH1 Storytellers. And yeah, that's the idea. They tell kind of how these songs came up. Okay. Then they play their famous songs. Cool. So Kanye's on and it's making news because it was very controversial. Kanye was sort of mentioning certain people that he thought were amazing. And some people kind of questioned the people that he was saying were amazing. Amazing. Michael Jackson. Amazing. Okay, now you get it. You get what he's doing. Yeah. He's mentioning somebody that is amazing. They got amazing music, right? Yeah. Musically amazing. Yeah. Come on, I'm in the mood. Was accused of, you know, being pedophilia. That's amazing. That's amazing. No, we got to say, I don't, he's probably not saying that's amazing. Of course not. Right. But he is pointing out that Michael Jackson is amazing. Michael Phelps. Amazing.
Yeah, Michael Phelps is definitely amazing. The guy won more gold medals at these recent Olympics than anybody. He's top of mind right now for smoking weed, but hey, whatever, whatever. OJ Simpson. This is like an Adam Sandler thing, like not amazing. You were saying, you were saying. OJ Simpson, you were saying. Continue on. That's her OJ Simpson, Eddie. Come on. That's pretty good. We're not going to let that happen. No, no, no, no, no. Please. Didn't for a second you think the juice was in the room? Anyways. You did not. And his face says, nope, I didn't. Ashley, amazing. That's right. Thank you. Thank you, guys. Amazing. OJ's amazing. Where's the applause? Is he mad? Do you notice that, by the way? Where did the applause go? Do you notice that? Yeah. No applause. Like, I think the audience is like. Is he kidding? Yeah, we're with you, but what? What he did. What did he do?
Was he that amazing? Well, what are we talking about that he did? Why are you saying this? No, no. I mean, I think he's talking about his football career. I like that he said what he did when he did what he did. Like, I don't think Kanye knows the extent of his football career. But you know that's what he's talking about, right? I don't think he could name any accomplishments that OJ had on the field. I would like to ask. But why? Why is it necessary to name O.J. Simpson? Out of every football player who's achieved something great is... Out of every human being on Earth. Well, that's an interesting point. I think that there just may be people that would have appreciated, you know, like sort of, you know, LaDainian Tomlinson. Sure. Amazing. There you go. You know, not only is he a good football player, but he's great in the community. And he didn't commit double murder. That too. That too. That whole thing. There is that too. Was he a naked gun? I'm not going to stand for this. What do you mean? I'm not going to stand for this. Exactly. That's the juice, Eddie. Eddie's face says, not a fan. You know what I mean? Like, hey, I don't necessarily think that that was right on. Ask me. With the what? Amazing. You're not down? Okay, fine, man. Are you going to be like that? I thought it was a pretty. I'd like to hear more of the clip. Yeah, I got more. I got more. Now.
In this clip, in this clip, I want you to notice again. How much is the audience with Kanye on this next clip? He said, you know, I think he drinks. Wait a minute. That didn't sound like Kanye. That's not the right one. I don't want to offend that person, but they sound like Rosie O'Donnell. Yes, they do. Oh, look at you. You're so good, bro. Ash, help me out here. I got cut three is Kanye, but that ain't it. Which cut? Which cut? Which one? Oh, it should be. He said, you know. No. Oh, I do not want to offend that person. Maybe the cut that was supposed to be Rosie is. No. I don't want to offend that person. Did he ride over it, or is there another cut three? I really don't want to insult that person, but that cut sounded just like Rosie. You said it already. We get the joke. I don't want to insult them, though. Yeah, we get it. You're using someone else's joke. It's cool. You're so dumb. Did you use that this weekend? Rosie.
No, I didn't meet Rosie. You did not? See, that is so weird because it's the one that, okay. Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's up now. Got it, got it, got it. Sorry. All right. So again. I really, I apologize. Check this out. Listen to Kanye in this clip, okay? And listen to the audience. Okay. He's a crybaby. He says, I understand that I act like a bleep at award shows, which if you don't know anything about Kanye when he's at award shows, he tends to make some outrageous comments. Well, if he doesn't win, he throws a fit. He throws a temper tantrum. Let's make that clear. The whole award system is a sham because obviously he should have won because he was better than everybody who did win. He says these things. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Very nice person. It's an award show. Huh. Now, does Kanye mean, well, at award shows, if you don't win,
Hello, it's an award show. You're supposed to throw a fit and say the other person didn't deserve it. Are we all living in the same planet? That's what I know an award show to be, right? When you don't win, you're supposed to flip out. And you're supposed to say, I'm better than that guy. How come I didn't win? And that's what he's saying. He's like, hello, it's an award show. It's okay for me to be disrespectful because it's an award show. I don't understand. But the audience is dead silent. He's not really getting there. There's not much of an interaction here. I didn't kill anyone. Yeah. You mean like OJ? Yeah. Yeah. That takes us back to the other comment. Not killing anyone. Well, there's like three people that are like, yeah. I didn't kill anyone. One chick that really cheered it, though. You hear that? She's like, yeah. Yeah. Yes. Double Catherine and Coke. Triple. Okay. Now, this next clip, I think it's worth saying. Okay. That. And for real. For real.
Honestly, this is what I think. I think, and this isn't a big surprise to anybody, I think Kanye's got some issues. I think Kanye's got some issues. And man, he is a talented dude. He is a super talented dude. And I feel bad for Kanye because he hurts himself with these comments. He doesn't make the case any better for himself. And I think that he, one of two things. He may either be the type of guy that if he knew the answer, he wouldn't follow it. He does his own thing. So even if you said to him, hey, Kanye, you know, eat your vitamins and eat your vegetables, he'd be like, yeah, whatever. Whereas some of us, you say, you know, eat your vitamins and eat your vegetables and people go, how come? Well, it's good for you. Okay, I'll do it. So there's that. But then you also have heard me say a million times, anger, right? I have this whole thing about anger, that anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. That it's one of those three things or all of those three things. Hurt,
sadness, and fear. In the next clip, you're going to hear a guy that you're going to definitely hear there's some anger behind it. And just ask yourself, I wonder if he's any of these three. Just got an email today. A new book coming out. Dr. Adams, the truth about Donda West. What the media doesn't want you to know. Just to let you know what he's talking about, his mother had plastic surgery, got an infection, and died. And from what he's saying, and her name was Vonda, and from what he's saying here, there's a book coming out that's like a tell-all. It sounds like maybe the doctor's side of the story. Maybe. You know? And what you got is you got a Kanye West that doesn't have a mother anymore, and he lost her because she got this. Okay, so take a listen. She really want me to put myself in a situation where I go to jail, killing them. Oh, okay. Isn't that? Is it a threat? Very illegal to me. Yeah, that seems like just a downright threat. I don't think it's. Personally, I don't think it's a threat. I think it's a guy piping off.
blowing, he's piping off. I think the way he phrased it, you know, even though it basically is a threat. Yeah. He's clearly furious that this book has been written, right? He's clearly furious. Now, I ask myself, well, what is this about? What is this? He's mad, right? And so that, you know, before we go any further, I'm going to let you know, I don't, I think the comments are inappropriate. Very. Comments are really, really inappropriate. I mean, most of what you heard has been inappropriate, right? That's what I say, man, wouldn't it be cool if dude was able to go, you know, before he starts going on VH1 and saying he wants to kill somebody. Right. Yeah. And that OJ is amazing. That's why OJ was amazing. Yeah, I guess so. Quick story. This weekend, my wife is at the kitchen counter, right? She's washing some dishes and she says, I'm kind of rethinking the idea of the name Lucas. And my wife is pregnant with twins. We think one of them's a boy because it was too early to tell when we were doing the ultrasound. We think one of them's a boy. We talked about names and one of the names that we decided on was Lucas. Then we had a name for a girl too, but the name we decided on for the boy was Lucas. And I got pretty upset. And she was sort of like looking at me like, man, you're kind of weird right now. Which kind of gave me pause.
To kind of step out of myself and look at me and go, dude, you're kind of weird right now. I proceeded to irritate her and she proceeded to say something that was out of irritation. And now we are huffy with each other. And then we're going to take Jake to Legoland. So we're driving to Legoland and it's quiet for about five minutes. And finally I said to her, honey, I'm having a hard time. processing all this in my head. I said, because I desperately want to be sorry for getting you upset because I could see how upset you are. And I'm telling you, I'm taking the high road because I want her to be saying this to me, but I'm like, I'm going to go for it. So I'm start to say this to her. And during the course of it, I said, man, for a dude who talks about, I said this to my wife, for a dude who talks about anger, being hurt, sadness, and fear,
I sure did have a hard time recognizing that I was really hurt and sad when you said that. And I said, oh yeah, and there's a touch of fear too. Here's the touch of fear. The touch of fear is that if you're saying that you're reconsidering it, it's for some kind of good reason. You've got a reason for it. And so I'm afraid that you've already checked out on this name that means so much to me. And that if we do name him that, you're not going to like it. And I'm afraid you're not going to like this name. She says, well, that's not true, which was cool. And we talked our way through it. We talked about it. But holy Toledo, if anger is not hurt, sadness, and fear, it really is. And the beauty of knowing that it's hurt, sadness, and fear, and I got to eat my own vegetables, is that if I had just for a second, when she said that to me, gone, man, that kind of hurts my feelings a little bit.
Oh, man, that makes me sad, too, because I love that name. And, ah, dude, now I'm tripped out because I think she's not going to like it and I'm out on it. One of the coolest things I ever heard this dude say one time, he goes, anger evokes anger, feelings evoke feelings. And that's true. I got mad and then she got mad. And if I had said, and she even told me this flat out, she said, if you had said to me that you really liked that name and you were attached to it and it kind of hurt you. She goes, totally different reaction from me. Sure. And she's right. And I know it. She's right. Because a lot of times I'm able to do this hurt, sadness, fear thing. I'm able to go, that hurt my feelings, or that made me sad, or I'm kind of freaked out, scared about what you just said. And it turns out better. But, man, I'm listening to that clip of Kanye, and dude is pissed. Right? I mean, he's mad. He wants to kill this guy, whatever. Totally and wholly inappropriate. I mean, just completely inappropriate. No doubt about it.

How much did you save? I now save $3,000 a year. Holy Toledo. Yeah, they do a really good job. At first, we were saving $1,200, but they looked around for the better deal. I'm now up to $3,000 a year, and with all that, I now have another new car. Let me ask you, before you heard me talking about AIS, what took you so long to call them? You weren't sure if it was for real or what's the deal? I wasn't sure, and I had been with the same agent, and my parents had been with the same agency.
I was a kid, so it's kind of like family tradition, but I'm out on my own. I wanted to save some money, so I finally made the call. I use AIS myself, so it isn't like I'm an endorser of a product that I don't use. I use AIS. I have AIS, and so does P1 Jenny, and she's saving $3,000, you said? $3,000, yes. That's amazing. Yes, and I love it. We're going to go to Hawaii next year to celebrate with all the extra money. That's cool. Hey, Jenny, thank you for calling in. No problem, Mikey. Have a good day. I'm a catch. Come on, mate. And Ash. I have three.
Yeah, I know the economy's not doing that great. I know that. But charging people on an airplane to use the lavratory? The turlet? Sorry, ladies. Ay-yi-yi. And, yeah, sorry, ladies, because the ladies always have to go. Every five seconds. And Rob is not going to pay to use the bathroom. He'll find other ways to pay. They got that barf bag. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can you not? Yeah, he'll multitask. These are the things they're asking for. I don't want to sit next tonight. Hold up the blanket. Yeah. Like your nursing. Shush. That's awesome. Get a nursing blanket. Yeah. Excuse me. I'm busy. A turd baby. Okay. Okay. Grow up. All of a sudden, this woman looks over like, ew. And Rob's like, excuse me. Why don't you take a picture of the last one?
What's so funny? Come on, Skye. This is what's going to happen, Skye. I'm not kidding. I hope not. That is going to go into kidney failure. Good. Do you want to see that happen? I would give them the money, okay, if it came down to that. How much are we talking? I don't know. They don't specifically say, but, you know, with airlines, they've been cutting costs and trying to find ways to make money everywhere from charging you for blankets, snacks, sodas, the whole deal. Well, now this European airline says that they're thinking about putting coin-operated bathrooms in their planes. So you put the coin in, the door unlocks, and you get to go in there. That's garbage. Wow. Yeah. They have, like, a little change maker, too. So if you don't have change, you have to go number two and put a dollar bill in. Does anybody have change for a dollar? I really have to. I really got to go. Right? Or like, you know, at like certain places, it's like you have to get the special coins, you know, so you have to ask the stewardess for a token. Attention, ladies and gentlemen, if anybody aboard has any change, we have a passenger that has to poop really bad. So if there's anybody on the aircraft that can give us change, we'd really appreciate it.
Raise your hand. And the gentleman that has to poo is the guy in the red sweater. He's the man standing in the back in the red sweater. Oh, that's so brutal. So brutal. Terrible. That's unbelievable. It's terrible. No way, dude. Awful. Let's see. Sky, they find any more whale bones downtown yet? Any dinosaurs? Yeah, dude, I want more prehistoric stuff. Crazy. Yeah, well, if you didn't hear, last week they found prehistoric whale bones at this construction site downtown. And it was just a few weeks after they had found mammoth bones at the same site. So, you know, this little site in the East Village is kind of becoming this hub for archaeologists looking for cool prehistoric bones. Hey, Tortilla. Oh, yeah. Hey, what's up? Hey, man. Yo, hey, what's up? I'll tell you about that phlegmitoris bone in my backyard. What? Phlegmitoris, man. Really? That thing was awesome. Awesome, dude. That's crazy. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to sell tickets in my backyard and make it into a backyard museum, man. Really? I'm going to see it. Check this sucker out, Tortilla. Look at this thing, man. Let me look at that. Look at that, man. Feel it. Tyrone? Yeah, man. Look at that thing. That actually looks like a wing bone from Popeye's. Come on, Tortilla. Just go with it. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. Citrus that I have. It's not even a real tiger. That's amazing. That's cool. Wow.
It's kind of spicy, too. I like it. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Tyrone. Oh, what's up, man? Guess what I'm doing. What's that, Sotel? Well, I'm going to make up some shirts about that whole whale bone thing they found. Oh, yeah, man? That sounds pretty smart. What's he going to say? You've been whale boned. What do you think, man? Pretty catchy. I chose not to comment on that on the grounds that my mama may hear that. Actually, she was the first one to buy one. Okay, tortilla. That was a good one. You know, on a serious note, owning a business is never easy, as people think. Is that right? It's been hard on me and Tyrone because of all of the creative differences, you know? Bring that up, dude. Well, you know, we should talk about it. Yeah, well, let me tell you something, man. It's like when I wanted to make those shirts that said Dino-mite-asaurus and have a picture of Jimmy Walker's head on a Tyrannosaurus. You remember when I wanted to do that, man? You remember when I wanted to do that? But no, man. So Tia thought it would freak people out, man. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. What about the Tataron? I wanted to make a shirt that said Tiawana Rex. And of course it was a Tyrannosaurus Rex wearing a sombrero.
I didn't like it. And Tyrone, you said it was stupid. It was stupid, man. That's not crazy, man. Business ain't easy. Ain't that the truth? That's right, dude. Let me tell you something. Hey, Tyrone. Yeah, dude. Why don't we open up a carnita stand downtown and call it Jurassic Pork? Yeah, dude. I like it, man. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Hey, me and you had a different business plan a few years ago, but it turned out your cousin Maria was a Jurassic narc. You remember that? Yeah, that is true. You're never going to guess what I found downtown last week when I was over there dinging around. What's that, Tyrone? I found a homeless guy that stole my shoes that one time at the script club. Are you talking about Eric Gordon? That's what I'm talking about. Vintage plastic pump toner. I remember it. My favorite, dude. It was huge. It was huge. Wow. Great discovery. It's been two and a half years since I last saw that, man. That's unbelievable. It's pretty awesome. Good job. Hey, you, dude. Hey, Tyrone. Yeah, Totero.
Remember that time we made Tyrone Bones to get the feds off your case? Remember that? What the heck are you talking about? Yeah, man. The feds stopped chasing me, but my crazy ex-mistress stopped stalking me, man. That's true. That was awesome. And the debt collectors stopped calling me, and my parking tickets were gone. Well, traffic's looking pretty tough in some spots here. The southbound side of the 5 is still a crawl here out of Carlsbad from Poinsettia Lane all the way down to Solana Beach. South 15, still tough as well. The 78th of Eurancho Parkway through West Condito. Heavy traffic again on the Common Mountain Ranch down in towards Poway. East County Commutes, you've got the westbound 8 still backed up in the Cajon Valley from Las Coaches to East Main Street. Heavy traffic again from Spring Street now out towards Lake Murray. And then so is again from the 15 and past the Q here to Texas Street. And traveling out of the South Bay, plenty of stuff as well in the 805 Northbound, especially out of Chuba Vista, often on up to the 15. Yeah, a brief slowdown through North Park. Then again, heavy out of Kearney Mesa over that 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105 Free. Yeah, yeah, nanny, nanny booboo. KC. San Diego's Rock. Right arm is almost completely sleeved. Eddie. I don't like sports that are judged. Sky.
I'm not a big fan of combining foods. Combinding? Yeah. Boston Rob. You know me. I love a good tattoo. And Ashley. I don't like to waste food. You guys know there's a new movie about Richard Pryor's life coming out? That would be crazy. Word on the street is that Richard Pryor might be playing him. Right, Skye? Well, Richard Pryor wouldn't play him. No, no, no. Wow. I mean, that would be amazing, Mike. Great. And with the technology they have today. I mean, I'm not saying you can't do it. Sky, you are awful. What? I thought we were having a conversation. Paul Harvey would not be like this. I know it, Sky. Paul Harvey would never do this to me. You know what I mean? There is no reason. Dan? Dan, Ryan, for Sky. Okay. Who is going to play Richard Pryor?
Eddie Murphy is in talks to play Richard Pryor. And they say to take the role, he would take a big pay cut for the movie because he believes he could win an Oscar with this movie. Well, here's what I know. He was a big fan, man. I know that Eddie Murphy was hugely influenced by Richard Pryor. Does Eddie Murphy do impressions? Not really. Not like that. You know, because the thing is, is that Richard Pryor has a very, very particular gait to the way he talks. A very particular inflection. Everything's very like, you can do a Richard Pryor imitation. And so if you can't, one thing he can't do is go out there and be Eddie Murphy. No way. No, no, no, no, no. And like one of the things that we were talking about this weekend, we were talking about how great Mickey Rourke was in the movie The Wrestler. He was really, really good in it, right? I'm an old, broken-down piece of me. We know. Stop crying. Well, part of the reason that I think he may have been real good in it is kind of him, you know, in a way. This guy that used to be real popular, and then he kind of, like, went away. Oh, for sure. And then he kind of made a comeback. You can totally relate to that. He is that guy. But this thing, man, you're playing a particular person. Yeah. I think Eddie Murphy. Isn't there a little bit of that in, like... I think Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor have a similar...
Style of comedy. So that kind of lends himself to that. I want to see a trailer of this so bad. Because he looks nothing like Richard Pryor. That's kind of weird. And didn't Eddie Murphy kind of fall victim to his fame? I mean, not to the full extent that Richard Pryor did, but didn't he have some of that? I think he could tap into some of that. Well, one thing he didn't do. You know what? Go back to your peanut butter and jelly, okay? Oh, All-American sandwich. All-American lunch. All-American lunch. I wonder if it will be the whole story from, you know, his whole story until he dies. Yeah. Because the big deal in Richard Pryor's life was that, man, he got burned. Yeah. Smoking crack. It's crazy. Really? Was it crack? Smoking? I think. Speedballing. No, no, no. It was cocaine and ether. He was freebasing. I thought all these things were the same. I thought freebasing. No, it was John Belushi that was speedballing, and yeah, he was freebasing. What is freebasing? It's when you take ether, which is a highly flammable chemical. What's the battle with you today? I don't know. She's really odd. What? Like the jokes that you're making are so inappropriate. Yeah, very inappropriate.
She's changed her name to inappropriate. Ether. Yes. Hey! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! It goes! Oh my gosh. What's your problems? Ether is a highly flammable liquid. And somebody will correct me maybe if I mess this up, but the idea is that you're purifying the cocaine using the ether. This flammable chemical. And in the process of doing it, he lit himself on fire. If I remember right, I think what happened was it spilled all over him. Oh, gosh. And then... You mentioned, you know, he had MS at the end of his life, too. So, I mean, you get any jokes about that, Ashley? No. No. Okay. No, he doesn't. All right. No. You never know. Please. Let's see. P1 manual.
Hey, Eddie Murphy does a great impersonation of Richard Pryor. You guys missed that one. He did it on Eddie Murphy Delirious, I believe. Really? It was bitchin', man. Yeah, I remember that back in the day. Remember Delirious, Eddie? Yeah. It's the one where he's wearing the red, or is that raw? That's raw. Delirious was the one right before that. And he does Bill Cosby, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember the Cosby stuff. I don't remember Pryor. Have to YouTube that. He tells them what to tell to... Bad word. Yeah. Which one? I may have to hit the button. Which one was this from? But he's singing. And you sing, you get over. Luther Vandross, the big Kentucky Fried Chicken eating mother... Oh. But he put his shit on me. Women go... Eddie Murphy. He was hysterical. Eddie Murphy was the funniest guy on the planet. What happened? And then he just decided, I don't like this. I don't want to be funny anymore. What happened? He was the funniest guy alive. I don't know. Part of it. I know part of it for Eddie Murphy was he had kids. Kids changed him. And he wanted to make, I know he said this at least about his movie career. He wanted to make movies that his kids would watch. The problem was, is that.
He kept denying the children that were actually his kids. Well, no. It wasn't just that one time with Gary Spice. It wasn't just that one kid that he denied. Paul Harvey would not do this. No, he wouldn't. No. I'm just saying. No, I think the problem was he was just picking some bad kid movies. They just were not that good. I don't understand why you can't do both. You can make some movies for your kids, but still cater to your audience that made you Eddie Murphy. The guy was a genius. He's funny. He's really funny. Like Eddie said, he's like the funniest dude ever back in the day. When he was in his heyday, making Delirious and Ron. What? Can't deal with her today. I can't. I think you can. I'd like to be excused. I question that. I believe you can do it with her. Okay, I don't want to. Oh, that's different than what you said. That is different. That sure is different. Okay, which direction do I want to go? Re-hitting the Rihanna story or brush with fame? You decide here on the show. Eddie, Skye, Ashley, Rob. I'm still very upset about Rihanna. Skye's upset. The news...
And I mean, credible news sources, CNN. But then all the rags are reporting it, too. And we're just talking about on the Today Show, Mike. Today Show. Come on. That there is, it is, it's still not confirmed, probably will be, but I just want to put it out there, that it isn't confirmed, probably will be, that Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together. Which... For a lot of people, it's really upsetting because you kind of feel like you felt for her. And then when she gets back with him, I think we have this feeling like we got duped. Why did I invest my emotions in this? You're just going to go back to the guy. Sky. Thank you, Eddie. Someone needed to say it. So that's my vote. And Sky is upset with Rihanna and says not only are you upset with her, but now you kind of almost feel like you don't even want to hear any Rihanna. No, I don't want to. I say shut up and drive. Is that what you say, Eddie? Okay. No, I will not. Support it. I like it. I know. Once you hear it, though, you're going to be in. It's so good. Yeah, you cannot support it. It is so good, but no. This guy's just feeling like she's living in Disturbia right now, so. That one, I'm having a hard time connecting the dots on that one, Rob. I'm just going to be really honest with you.
Was I reaching there? I think maybe a little bit or a lot. Just, you know, choose. What was the first song that you guys mentioned in the reference? Shut Up and Drive. Shut Up and Drive. Let me find that one. This guy could block all of her feelings with an emotional umbrella. Ella. Ella. Ella. Come on, Sky. No, I'm upset. You can love. I stood by her side. I helped wipe her tears. She cried on my shoulder. She cried on my shoulder. You don't know her. I gave her my all. Never met her. Then what happened? She ignored all my advice. That's Rihanna? Yeah. You know what? I thought that this was one of those teeny bop white girls trying to sound like a black girl. I did. I was like, oh, that's pink trying to sound black. She wishes. That's a good song. It ain't no umbrella, but. I like Disturbia the best out of the three. You do? That's not the discussion right now, you guys. Yeah, we're talking about a good discussion. I thought the discussion was. are going on. Right, but don't you think that along with that issue, there's also the issue of which one is your favorite song? No! We're putting it all out there. Her new single, Rehab, is The Bomb. Really? What's your favorite Rihanna song? Rehab. This one. It's her new single, So Good. This is your favorite? Come on. It is. It's her new single. You're so flavor of the month. I am, dude. Chalk it up. It's good. Hey, baby. Let me first get another
I can't support that. No chance that this is her best. No way. Ella. Ella. She's so good, Scott. That's good music. little girl fans. That's what I'm saying. They can't look up to her anymore, Rob. Read Life and Style. It's got all the answers in there. Life and Style. They're claiming self-defense, dude. Ashley, you're nuts. Don't say it again. I read it. I didn't say it. And I'm not thinking it. I know. Thank you for not thinking it. It makes me uncomfortable the last time you thought it. Yeah. Hey. I didn't see any pictures of Chris Brown's face all whacked out. Did we see any pictures of Chris Brown after the incident? Well, I heard he was hanging out in Vegas after, and now he's in Miami on a jet ski. He's grieving. Grieving? What, what, what? She said he went to Vegas because he was grieving. He feels bad he's grieving. Ashley loves to rile. Oh, I'm so upset right now, and no one cares but me. I'm the only one.
Skye, this is what I don't understand about your reaction. Skye, this is what I don't understand about your reaction. I don't want to see her hurt again. But what are you so surprised about? Come on. What are you surprised about? She's a young girl. Yeah, but she has so many people around her. You would think that one of these people would be like, hey lady. Think of you at 19 years old and somebody telling you. First of all, wearing a dude cholo jacket. She just turned 21. Brianna just turned 21. Okay, think of yourself as 21. I was about to get married. I was owning a home about to marry. Sky is not the right example. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We can use me as a example. Please, come on. If somebody tried to tell you who to date, that would draw you closer to that guy, wouldn't it? Of course, of course. Where is Jay-Z? Isn't he supposed to be her mentor? Why is it? And Beyonce, get in there. Get in there. Sky, what do you think they're going to do? Save her. They're going to grab her by the ankles and not let her go anywhere? Yes. Come on. Kick her out of the country. Send her back to Barbados if she keeps seeing Chris Brown. I think it's ridiculous, but it's also in line with what... Oh, it hurts. Love is blind. Stop it, Ashley. It is. You know that that's making... The heart wants what the heart wants. Sky, the heart wants what the heart wants. No.
I say no to all of this. And you guys should be outraged. And I'm outraged that you guys aren't outraged. Who isn't outraged? You guys are, oh, umbrella, Ella. Like, what? I'm not sure what you want us to do. That's the one where the sunglasses are. We are. I'm curious. Sky. You are lying. Sky. You're lying. You're not. I'm not mad because I kind of expected it. Exactly. Someone be furious with me. P1, call me and be furious with me. Anyone. But, Skye, you know everybody's just kind of rolling their eyes going, well, of course. There you go. It's a matter of time. Why? Because that's what they do. It's just what our society does. That's what young people do. Young people, yeah. And it's kind of. And they have Romeo and Juliet. It also fits into the pattern of abuse. They go back and they go back and they go back. It's a pattern of abuse. It's tough, Skye. She's better than that. Just support her. She'll figure it out. But all the hours she cried on my shoulder. She didn't cry on your shoulder. Skye made a good point earlier. Skye said earlier, you would think that...
Just out of the embarrassment, she wouldn't go back. That is true. Yeah, it said in the Life and Style magazine that that's made it hard for her to deal with this. It's in the public eye. That's right. You know, people might judge her. Sounds like Mommy bought a magazine. Definitely was. Sounds like Mommy went to the grocery store. This is, I think, what happened. Mommy was laying out at the pool and needed something to read. He needed a gossip magazine. Mommy was reading stories through sunglasses, all right? Smelling coconut. It's real good. All right? That's all I'm saying. You guys are so apathetic. P1, Stephanie. Hi. Go ahead. Big word. Big word. Hello? Nobody's apathetic here, by the way. I don't know what that means. Stephanie, you're on the air. Yes, you're on the air. Sorry. It's okay. I was in a relationship for a number of years, and I had a sweet-talking, nice, probably like Chris Brown guy. You guys have to give her some slack. He is honeymooning her right now. I love you, baby. Sorry, I'm going to give you the world. And she's believing it, thinking, you know what? He's going to change. It's going to be better. He'll probably be really, really great for a couple months, maybe even a year. And then he'll go back to doing it unless he possibly gets some kind of help. But I went back and forth. I'm not kidding, for a five-year period where it was, you know, I'd be a year off. And then he'd say, I love you. I'm not like that anymore. And I would go back. And my family hated it but could do nothing about it, would try to warn me. Did you grow up in that environment?
No, never. No, not at all. And I just, you know, which is weird because you think if I had an abusive father or something like that, then I would do that. But no, my my family has been nothing but loving and supportive of me. And that's why they had a hard time. It's like, why are you doing this to yourself? And I just kept believing that he was going to change. And, you know, he would tell me that he loves me and cared about me and would just do wonderful things, go out and buy things or, you know, just I love you. Look how much I love you. You know, that kind of stuff. And I was young and she's. I'm almost 30, but I was 17 until I was 21 where this relationship was going on like that. The pattern of an abuser is that they do something really bad, and then they spend a lot of time saying, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you know how I really feel about you. You know that it was only because of this that happened, and I'm so sorry, and it won't happen anymore, and I'm so sorry, and that's how it goes. But don't people know that? Shouldn't Rihanna know that, that he's fitting the pattern right now? Sky, you act like you've never been in love before. You know how it is. It clouds everything about you, and you don't think clearly. And if she did start the fight, then she maybe feels responsible for it. Doesn't make it right, but that's just, these are things that are going through her head. You know what? If I went to Rihanna's house again...
I would take those pictures of her battered face and I would post them all over the place. That would help. That would definitely help. It would change the scope of everything. She'd be like, oh yeah, I forgot. You don't forget. You remember that it happened, but then you remember how much he says he, you know, please forgive me. Stephanie. You do think I did. Maybe I did something wrong. You know, oh, I shouldn't have said that. Stephanie, you said something very key when you first called, which was he's taken her through this honeymoon period. I think that a lot of times these women that are in abusive relationships, in addition to everything that's been said. that they also sort of, it feels good when they're doing the makeup talk. Sure. And the makeup deeds. Yeah, it's, you know, you're going to dinner and you're around the family and the family's treating you great and you think everything's going to be okay and you think that everything is going to be okay. And she's young too. I mean, it'll take a long time possibly for her to realize. Maybe he'll never do anything again, but it's...
Yeah, I mean, with age comes wisdom, and she's going to get a lot of wisdom from this, and whoever her next relationship will be will benefit from it. So, I mean, she'll figure it out. But she's wasting some of her best years. She's young, Sky. It's not like you. People usually, you know, don't go out and have their life already done at 21. These are her best years, bro. Calm down. Just saying. Yeah, I do. I think that those young years are the best years. Nice. Well, they're formative years. They figure it out. What do you mean by best? Depends on what you mean. I hate to see it. Let's see. Somebody agrees with Sky, Eddie. I agree with Sky. I agree with Sky. It's a sad situation. I think we all agree with Sky. He's outraged. He went hot pink penguin. I 100% am with Sky on this one. I think Rihanna's stupid. She should not be back with him. There's no reason for it. He's not going to change. I guess you've never made mistakes in relationships. You've never made mistakes in relationships. This is on another level. Yeah, well, Eddie, you're not suggesting that it was good that she went back. Of course not. But I'm also not saying that Rihanna's stupid.
for going back. She's young and she's making mistakes. We've all made mistakes in relationships. She's not smart. I'm sure you've taken cheaters back. I'm sure you've cheated on somebody. There are mistakes and they're unfortunate and they make you smarter in the long run and make you develop what you're able to do in your new relationships. Earlier we were talking about it when we first came on. I said, this is time. That'd be my advice is that if there's a change and if there is no change, you know, then you don't you don't trust it. And listen, I'm sure he's showing. Oh, right now he's in that honeymoon phase. Like, how do you know that there's change? How do you know that somebody's changed? Well, you know, I guess I guess it's through through what you're saying through time. But to me, if.
If the relationship got to the point of violence, it's obviously unhealthy. Yes. And, you know, they got to figure that out. Get out, Eddie. That's what you're saying. Well, I think that that is probably the wisest thing to do. Thank you. Hey, P1 Abe, calm down. Abe, go ahead. Yeah, hey, this is P1 Abe. I have a question for Sky. You know, if Rihanna was the first one to throw the shot and cause this fight, what's from keeping her... from doing it again. You know, I don't think Chris Brown just... They shouldn't be together. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I really gotta dive in. He's going life and style route, Mike. Abe. Abe, question. So, wait, wait, wait, because I just want to understand. I think I understand, but I'm not sure, so I want you to clarify. Are you saying if she was the one that hit him first... Yes. Complete that sentence. If she was the one to hit him first... I mean, if she was the one to hit him first, how do we know if in the future, let's say she doesn't stick with Chris Brown and she goes with somebody else, how do we know when she gets mad she's not going to do the same thing to another guy? Yeah, but what is your point there? My point is like...
In this society, women want equality, which is all good, and I support that. But where is the line crossed when we could hit a man in the heat of an argument? Because I had it happen to me. And the bad thing, it was, you know, it was my mom when I was a lot younger, and we were driving, and she straight cold cocked me a closed fist while I was driving. So I pulled the truck over, I took the keys out, and I walked out. I left her, and I was like 17, you know, and I walked away. But it's some things that make you feel. Women have certain rights to where when something goes wrong on their side, oh, they scream that they're victims and this and that when they have a reaction. Same thing when you have a dog. You kick the dog around so many times until one day the dog's going to turn around. Yeah, I just don't know how that fits Rihanna and Chris Brown. I really don't. Yeah, because there were witnesses to their incident, and only Chris Brown is being investigated. And when he turned himself into the police department, there were no reports of any injuries on him. But not only that, let's just say, for instance, just for the sake of argument, let's say that Rihanna took a balled-up fist and hit Chris Brown in the face. Does that then...
Hey, she's fair game. Not at all. Of course not. But abuse is abuse. Doesn't matter which way it comes from. Yeah, no doubt. And Chris Brown, if he would have, you know, been smart, if she would have hit him, he should have, you know, been the one to call the police or whatever. Yeah. You know, or walk away, whatever. Either way, you know, but I mean, abuse isn't right on any person. No, it isn't. Hey, thanks for the call, dude. Good call. Hey, thanks a lot. Thanks, man. Let's take one more. Let's take one more. P1 Willie. Hey, man, I know Big Dang, man. Big Willie. It's a Big Willie syndrome. She can't do without the Big Willie. I don't really understand. Do you understand anything? He's got the Big Willie. I think it has something to do with the Big Willie. Yeah. Big Willie. Big Willie. Yeah. Not really sure. Yeah. Okay. You're creepy. Dad, I told you, if you're going to call the show, you have to be able to. He had a brush with fame. Anybody listening right now had a brush with fame? And what I mean by that is you're in an airport. You meet so-and-so. Or give me another one, Eddie. Give me an example. Give me an example of a brush with fame like we were telling you. Basically, what we're looking for is if you've ever been on TV for something. Yeah, like say you've been on a game show.
You've been in a reality show. You want the news for something. Yeah, yeah. Like, we want to know. Like, what was your 15 minutes? Yeah, what was your 15 minutes of fame? Were you, and maybe it was even longer than 15 minutes. Maybe there's somebody listening that says, hey, dude, I played in the NBA for a couple of seasons. Or, you know, just something cool that happened to you that you were on a TV show or whatever. I was, call me if you were on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette. Call me if you. You had your 15 minutes. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. One of the only times I was ever in shape in my life was when I was a freshman in high school, you know? Eddie. I love Wookiees. Sky. I don't know anything. Boston Rob. What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. And Ashley. I didn't even go to San Diego State. I did. I practically graduated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Now with a little infotainment, this is the Mikey Show 360. 360. 360. Mikey Show 360 is what people are talking about. And one of the things they're talking about is this knucklehead from Chula Vista. What happened, Sky? This is so nuts. Okay, so this guy had a warrant out for him. He was wanted on suspicion of burglary, robbery, making threats. Wrong. Yeah. So I guess he had a misdemeanor arrest warrant out for him after a November shoplifting thing. But then in December, he was suspected of shoplifting, getting in a fight with a security guard at the Kmart on East H Street in early December. So there's this warrant out for him. And so a detective got a hold of his phone number and called him. And he told the detective that he was in Las Vegas.
But he would be back in Chula Vista in three weeks to take the police recruitment exam. And so the detective. Can you believe that, dude? So the detective called back and said, hey, would you like to come to the February 18th recruitment orientation? Ah. And he goes, okay, you know, great. That would be great. And then never showed up. And so the police are like, dang it. Like this guy got smart to what we were trying to do, you know. And then he sent an email to them apologizing, saying that his car got impounded. Oh, boy. But he was going to come out for the next one. Oh, boy. Dude shows up. And he's like signing in and registering for the police recruitment exam. And that's when they take him into custody. And he still asks them. Well, after this all squared away, can I still take the exam? No. No, you can't. So he was booked and is being held on $145,000 bail. Wow. Yeah. Awesome. Okay, so we're doing Brush With Fame. 570-1053 or text us at textmikey at gmail.com. The idea is, what were your 15 minutes? Were you on a game show? Were you in the news for some reason? What happened with you?
What is your, how will people know you or did people hear about you? P1 Boise was part of the San Diego State drug bust that we talked about last year on the news. Boise, are you there? Yes, sir, I am. Dude, so what was that day like? Pretty much, I had 10 DEA agents, a German Shepherd and a bunch of San Diego State police break into my house on May 6th at 6 in the morning. So it was different. I'll tell you that much for sure. It was definitely a different experience. Is it ongoing? Has the trial for you ended? What's going on? Actually, I got sentenced on August 7th, and then I served 113 days in a work furlough program. Yeah, that's pretty much what my sentencing was. I got out on December 17th, so I was there from August 27th until December 17th. How old are you? I am 23, sir. What did you get convicted of? It was possession of a controlled substance, which, you know, I regret everything I did, but, you know, everything happens for a reason, so it actually made me a better person. But at the same time, if I could rewind time, I definitely would, because I don't wish that experience upon anyone. Right. And I'm guessing you would not do that again. Oh, absolutely. My parents actually heard about it on CNN. That's exactly how they found about it. And my whole family is pretty hardcore Christian. My brother's a youth minister up in Orange County. My uncle's a pastor out in Nebraska, and so when my parents saw that,
Yeah, they kind of threw a fit. How did you go from that upbringing to that crime? You know, it all started with smoking marijuana. You know, everybody does it. Well, not everybody. I'm just assuming, actually. But everybody by San Diego State kind of got into one thing or another. And unfortunately, you know, my friends were my really good friends, of course. So I just got caught up in it kind of. I just found an easy way of making money. And unfortunately, it just led to. Stupid decisions, obviously, and I paid for it greatly. I'm still paying for it. I'm on three years probation now, but the worst of it's over, so now I just got to keep my nose clean, obviously, and that's exactly what I'm doing. So what would you tell kids that are listening that are going to be starting their freshman year in college or any of that stuff? Life's too short. Life is definitely too short. You just got to make the smart decision. You got to do the right thing. You live and learn. You live and you learn, and I definitely learned. I'm definitely living now, so it's all good. There you go. Wow. Thanks a lot, boys. We appreciate it, man. That's crazy. Dude, we got one of the arresting officers on Michael Jackson on the line. No! What? Check this out. P1 Chris, you there? Yeah, I'm here. Oh, wait. It was your dad. Yeah. It was your dad. Was one of the arresting officers of Michael Jackson? Yeah. Did he meet him and stuff? Yeah. Well, it wasn't the first time he's met him, but yeah, he was one of...
Santa Barbara County Sheriff. And it was crazy because I knew all the detectives and pretty much all the guys who were involved with it. So did he go to, what is it called, Neverland Ranch? Yeah, yeah. It was the big ordeal when he got arrested for that last child molestation charge. What did he say about the experience? He thought it was crazy. He met the lady, she does the TV stuff. I mean, it was just kind of a whirlwind. Oh, I... Ordeal. Did he... I mean, it's all over now, so I think it's probably okay for you to say, but what did he say about meeting Michael Jackson? What did he say he was like? Yeah, his demeanor. And did your dad say that, that he was nutty? Yeah, you know, it was just... Did he say... Did he tell you about it? Yeah, yeah. I mean, well, I was in Iraq at the time, and I was in the Army. And so I heard it through email and, you know, talking on the phone when I could.
Yeah. And it was just a crazy experience being on the news. Like, I want specifics. So do I. Of, like, when he, like, actually came face-to-face with Michael. Like, how was Michael nutty? Like, what was Michael actually saying? What was he wearing? I guess he didn't say much. He was, you know. On top of a camel. Yes, probably. First of all, he was dressed like a knight from the Knights of the Shining, you know. What? Well, dude. If you ever, if your dad ever was willing, we'd love to talk to him, you know, and ask him what that experience was like. Heck yeah. Yeah, that would be, I don't know. I mean, he has a small business up in Solvay in California. Yeah, I know where that is. It's up there in that area, Santa Barbara County. Yeah, that's where I grew up. And, you know, I get to say, it's all over now. He's retired. And I don't know if he would be willing to talk about it. He's kind of... I wouldn't say shy, but he's kind of reserved about that kind of thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's too bad, man. I'd love to know about it. That is nuts. All right. Hey, thanks, Chris. Appreciate it, man. Hey, thank you. All right. See you. P1 A-O. A-O. A-O. What's happening? A-O, you were on what? Hold up, man. You know I got to do me right quick. Hold on, man. Oh, man. What's up? What?
You know, I'm going like a goose egg, baby. You dig? Okay. Oh, really? I don't really dig. Really? I don't really dig. I don't. I'm being honest. Oh, really? I don't. I'm sorry. Go ahead, Ayo. Yeah, man. I'll give you a little insight. A little while back, I did a little dating show, man. What was it called? Room Raiders, man. MTV. You did Room Raiders. Get out of here, dude. That's what I got. What is Room Raiders, guys? Tell me. Tell me. Dork. What is it? How does it work? Pretty much. I was picking dates, you know what I mean? I had to pick my dates by going through their rooms, though. Oh, yeah. I think I watched one episode of that. Yeah, I've seen that. You go into their room when they're not there, and then you see what stuff they're into and what they're all about, and then you decide who you want to go on a date with based on the stuff in the room. Like what kind of underwear they wear. Are you serious? You go through their drawers? They're a really great show. And so, Ayo, what was the girl like that you picked her room?
She was all right. I mean, not too much. I mean, they didn't really give me the best of women to choose from. Well, I mean, going off base to the room, but, I mean, when I seen them, I was like, okay. So you weren't that excited about the girl they set you up with? Well, no, because at the very end, you know, you get to see them, and then you just base, you know, you don't know which room that you're choosing. But, I mean, before I even... Oh, we get it. You're so great. You're better than everyone. You're so handsome in your sweater vest. Stop it. So, Ayo, what was the date like? Did you go on a date or no? And does MTV pay for it? No, MTV didn't pay for it. They came in. The girls got to go through my room the very last day. Pretty much it was crazy, man. It started, like, from 5.30 in the morning to, like, an extra day. It wasn't supposed to take that long, but it took him, like, two days to do hours. What did the girl look like that you picked? Kind of like a, oh, God, I'm bad because I don't really know how to talk. Oh, well, she looked kind of like a low-budget Sierra. Sierra?
Yeah, but like a low-budget, like a low-budget Sierra. Who's Sierra? Singer. R&B chicky. R&B singer, yeah. All right. Sounds bad, but. Did you even go out? Yeah, we went out a few times, but. Oh, you went out a few times? Yeah, you know. What is that? Well, dude, he's just saying, hey. Yeah, yeah. But they went out on a few dates. Come on. Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. Couldn't have been that bad. You went on a few dates. Couldn't have been that bad. I don't consider it dates, because I. Because we didn't make lunch. Man, you got to put syrup on the pancakes if you want a meal. You know what I'm saying? Really, Eddie? Eddie, I don't know what you're saying. I don't know. You know how it is. I can't handle this. All right, that's weird. Oh, I want to know so much more about this. I want to see that episode. Thank you, AO. Thank you, man. I appreciate it. That's awesome. Wow. Hey, there's a guy that's calling because he actually had a brush with greatness. So he didn't necessarily have his 15 minutes, but he had a brush with greatness. P1 Wet Bandit, are you there? Yes, I am. Who did you meet? Well, I was standing in the airport and just minding my own business. And right behind me, this celebrity.
comes up, and I'm like, do I ask for her autograph? Do I take my picture with her? So instead, I just stood there. It was Skye from the mic show. He got some irony up in here. Yes, yes, I remember you. I can't remember them all, but I remember you. You are especially intrusive. Yes. I mean, I'm standing there trying to have a Jamba Juice. It's as if I have no pre-opsy anymore. Waiting for the flies. Really? We're going to do this? The chopper was down. We're going to follow this right now. Trying to mind my own business. Trying to fly to my chateau in Venice. Okay. Whatever. Can a girl catch a break? I didn't ask for this, all right? Shut up. Do you have a chiapi? Okay. Will you throw up? Please. Was she nice? Really nice. Yeah. fact that I ended up making an idiot out of myself for doing the air fist bump. I don't remember this. It was her. This guy, she did a fist bump with you? Well, this was right after you had said the thing on the air. When you see another P1, do the air fist bump in your car to acknowledge that you're a P1. And so...
She's standing there in line and I turn around and she has like her fist in my face. And I'm like looking at her like, what? Let me take my glove off and slap you across the face. And then she said. do you know what I'm doing right now? And I said, no. That is funny. And then finally we figured it out and we're on the same level. That's pretty funny. It was a little awkward at first, but we figured it out. Very awkward. Thanks for the call, Wet Bandit. Thanks. Hey, we got somebody that was on Price is Right. Nice. Oh, cool. Somebody was on Price is Right. P1 Laura, are you there? Hi, Mikey. How you doing? Good. How are you? I'm good. How are your folks? Folks are good. This must be the Lori that I know. This must be Lori Roeder. She's been on a million shows. Yeah, you've been on a lot of shows. And I was just quoted in the newspaper yesterday on the home section. Look at you. So you were on Prices, right? Back in college, we had a sorority trip and I had a dream that I was going to get picked. And sure enough, I freaking got picked. That's cool. Did you have to have crazy in line and stuff? Yeah, you have to kind of a little bit, yeah. You got to play it up.
Yeah. And you were also on a dating game? The Dating Game with Chuck Woolery. Oh, really? Yeah. Was it a good date or a bad date? I didn't get picked. I was Bachelorette number three, and he picked number two. Oh, what a loser. What a jerk. She was on My House is Worth What on HGTV. Right, and actually it's re-airing again this month, you guys. Look out. There you go. Did they let you know that? Well, they just keep re-airing it, and then I just look on the website and see what's going to come on again. So it's on the 11th and the 20th. Do you watch it every time it's on? Do you watch it every time it's on? No, I have a TVO, and then if relatives come into town, we watch it. There you go. That's cool. That's cool, Lori. Yeah, so that was it. But yeah, you do have to kind of go crazy in line. Are you going to kiss Bob on the cheek? No, because I stayed in contestants' row. Oh, you never got on? No plinko? Where I went $1 over the person before me, and then this little old lady did $1 more than me. Oh, she boxed in? That's the worst. Now, is it you kiss Bob, Bob doesn't kiss you? Is that how it goes? They didn't say anything to us about that. How does that usually go down? You peck him on the cheek and you peck back. You give him a peck? Yeah, yeah. Remember Richard Dawson used to French kiss the ladies there in line on the Family Feud? He was so creepy with that kiss on the Family Feud. You're like, hey, that's my mom, dude. That's my mom, bro. Give me a break. Michael, you are the reason I drink. You are the reason I live.

903, it's a Mikey show. And, all right, a couple of things we've got to get to here. First of all, what do I want to mention? Oh, I want to do, well, first of all, I want to do the sports dirt. Because there's a lot of things going on in the free agency market. As a matter of fact, why don't we do that first? Now, the top sports stories of the day. It's the sports dirt with Eddie. This is a crazy story. Two NFL players are missing at sea. We've got the Lions' Corey Smith and the Raiders' Marquise Cooper, along with two other men, have been missing nearly a day off the Florida coast after going on a fishing trip. They haven't been able to get a hold of them. They haven't sent any distress signals or maydays or anything like that, but they can't get a hold of them, so they're searching for them. Here is Raiders' linebacker Marquise Cooper's wife saying that this is her worst nightmare.
My worst nightmare to think of anyone I love, especially my husband, in any situation where, you know, he is struggling to get back and, you know, can't get in touch with us or get the help that he needs. Hmm. That is terrible, man. That's a crazy story. They don't know what happened, right? They don't know anything. They don't know if they're in trouble or they just... Can't get, you know, their communications are down or what. But they're still out there searching for them. Yeah, they got a lot of people looking for them. So hopefully they'll find them and everybody will be all right. Some crazy NFL free agent moves over the weekend, including the Kansas City Chiefs acquiring quarterback Matt Castle and linebacker Mike Vrabel from the New England Patriots. That's so crazy. A second round draft pick. It's so crazy. Something ain't right about it. We talked about it earlier. Something ain't right. Rob knows something ain't right. He just ain't admitting it. Mike Crabill, you will be missed. That castle won't? Good luck, buddy. He'll be missed. Now you don't like that castle? No, no, no. It's not that I don't like him. I think he's going to be great. In about three years, he's going to be out of control. Two, three years.
But Mike Vrabel, like, that really takes a toll on him. Eddie, he didn't say any of this stuff when he was a patriot. I know. He was talking about how great Matt Gassel was. It was no three years. But I thought it was also kind of cool. Dude, he let us to be. I thought it was really clever right now how you said, yeah, Rob knows that something shady is going on here. And then Rob kind of changed his subject really easily. That is true. He did. I don't want to fight you guys anymore about this. You guys think it is? I don't think so. But. You don't think it's weird that they traded Matt Castle and Mike Vrabel and all they get is... And it was the government. The government. He's making me into Rosie O'Donnell and Charlie Sheen like I got conspiracy theories and I'm telling you. Something's weird about it. Very strange. Bronco's wide receiver Brandon Marshall is in trouble again. He was arrested in Atlanta and booked with the Atlanta City Jail on disorderly conduct charge. Not a lot of details are out, but reports are that he got into some sort of fight. Now, this would be the fourth arrest for Marshall since 2006 and was suspended last year on their new policy, their conduct policy, and was originally suspended for three games but got reduced to one.
I'm sure he's going to be dealt with by Roger Goodell again. Is there anything that you think the NFL could do to help guys like this on different teams? Is there anything they could do? Or is it just a case where you go, always going to happen, just going to happen? I mean, you can point a finger at them, but guess what? Because then what? Guess what? This is my idiot. It's because if you point one finger at somebody else, then guess what? You point three back. Guess what? You point three back at yourself. Guess what? Zebra can't change his spots. That's right. That is true. Well, Kyle Busch, he won in his hometown of Las Vegas. Now, Matt Kenseth was trying to become the first driver in NASCAR history to win the first three races of the season, but he came in last. Are you kidding? I guess his engine blew it. Owie. lap six, but Kyle Busch ended up winning the race. Here's Kyle talking about his victory. I tell you what, this is pretty cool. I didn't know exactly what it would mean by coming to the jugger flag. I mean, there was knots in my stomach. This is probably as big as the Daytona 500. I said it wasn't going to be, but it is. It's not. You won a Las Vegas race, dude. That's not as big as Daytona. Shut up. Come on.
And I know you guys were all wondering who won the Match Play Championship. Oh, I couldn't win. I know it was just you were dying. And on the edge of my defense, Tiger was out of it. I was super not curious. Your NBC felt like that too. I couldn't handle it. Jeff Ogilvie beat Paul Casey to win the Match Play Championship. He was a fat kid in the Bad News Bears. No, no, that's just Ogilvie. That was him, Mike. I thought it was the same person. Here he is talking about his Match Play title. I didn't miss a beat. I had great shots all week. I made pots when I made pots. What am I going to say? It was a very enjoyable weekend to play well. That's not a knife. That was an Australian man, right? It was an Australian man. It was really hard to understand him. Really? I think that was hard to understand. I've done great shots all week. I made putts when I needed to make putts. What am I going to say? It was a very enjoyable weekend to play well.
Rod, Rod. That was really hard to understand. There you go. Okay, from the yesterday emails. Now, some people wonder, well, what is that? I have everybody send me something I call the yesterday email. And this is where people tell me, everybody on the show writes me an email, tells me what they did yesterday so that we can kind of bring stuff up on the air. What were you up to? And so, well, first of all, people that didn't know, Eddie had a very challenging weekend, man. It was not a fun weekend. No. Very scary. Yeah, my wife, who is five months pregnant, was starting to have some bleeding. And when I say some, it wasn't just a little bit. It was a lot. So, you know, we were freaked out, obviously. And, you know, we're thinking the worst. But luckily, everything's okay. Baby's okay. My wife's okay. It was weird. You know, still not really.
exactly sure what it was, but they checked her out like head to toe and she's fine. They got her on the bed rest? Yeah, she's on the bed rest. It's good for them though, man, to get off their feet. It is. It is. And so we'll hopefully be able to see our regular doctor today and get that all taken care of. But yeah, she's good. Baby's good. Everything's good. It was just really scary. Ashley did something that a lot of guys in prison do. She played some dominoes. Oh, I love dominoes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Some bones. Yeah, that's what they do. That's what the guys do a lot in prison. Now, I read that and I was like, I don't even know how to play dominoes. I have no idea. Wow. It's been so long I had to... It would have been since you were in jail, I guess. The last time you probably rolled them bones, you know. So, Ash... Did you play for smokes? Yeah. Yeah, right? Yes. Where'd you get? Credits? That's right. Whoa, Sky. I don't even know what that is. Is that a thing? I don't know. Oh, my gosh. Sky learned that at Las Colinas. How do you do it? How does it work? You start off, like, everyone gets picked seven randomly, and then you see what seven you have, and then, like, someone with a double puts it out, and that's how you'll kick it off. Yeah. Like a double, there's, like, six or two-two, whatever. Right.
But what you want to try to get is increments of 5, so 5, 10, 15, or 20. And when you do, that's when you get points. And then you can be like, we were doing first one to 200 points wins. So you'll play as many rounds as you need to go to get. And you play with a partner. We had four players, so we played with a partner. You slam down the domino like, ah, nailed. Yeah, and you'll be like, yeah. Bones! And we say inappropriate words too with it, like we had rules. But yeah, it's really fun. It's really hard for me to add all these numbers up really quickly and try to figure out which can get me to 15 or 10 or whatever. Well, Ash went to Palm Springs. Oh, la la. She left her dog with some friends. Oh, dude. What? Who did you leave Sammy with? Interesting. Well, Sammy, you know, Sammy kind of... Did she get sick? Was she a nightmare? She's a little crazy. That's a better way. She's a nightmare. She's a little crazy. She's a puppy. Sky, she poos. She's learning. Vomits. Vomits. She goes doo-doo. She is learning. Look at its face. Yeah. She's got a adorable face. I love her. No. Who'd you leave her with? I left her with my friend, Ann Marie, who actually came in one time and was promoting that charity for the San Diego Food Bank. Oh, yeah.
So they've got like this real nice house, her and her boyfriend. And they've got a bulldog named Jack. And she very graciously offered to take Sammy for the weekend. And I've never really done this before. Normally, I'll put her in doggy daycare. I'll have a neighbor watch her. But I'm like, this would be really awesome for me. Like, if this could work out, save some money, awesome. So I took her over and had her stay there. And when I picked Sammy up, like, Christian, the boyfriend, was just saying that. She ran Jack the Bulldog into the ground in terms of playing with him. She's never seen Jack so tired. And they were trying to be really nice about it, saying that, boy, she just had a lot of energy. Man, she just really doesn't stop playing, does she? We know what that means. They hated her. And I couldn't get a read on it. I'm like, gosh, was she good or was she bad? Or was she horrendous? She pooed everywhere. Yeah, no question. Did she stay inside their house? She stayed with them the entire weekend, dude. Wow. Eddie, would you ever offer... Okay, Eddie just came in. Like, before I was ever... Like, Mike. How dare you? If it was a normal dog, yeah. Okay, let me ask. This isn't a normal dog. It's evil. No, it is. She's not evil. Wow. Yeah, yeah. In a way. No, no, no, no.
Rob, how much would it cost for you? No, Rob's saying. You're a good person. Oh, it's not an amount? Uh-uh. Yeah. That dog is nuts. We're working on some new commands, though, to get her going. One day we'll spend time breaking the commands down. Working on them. Thank you. Skye spent the weekend taking apart her bedroom, painting it, and putting it back together. Yeah. Thank you. It's fun. It's fun working with a perfectionist. Oh. Oh, man. The same perfectionist, by the way, that's listening right now. I love him to death. He knows it. He knows it about himself. I bet you it looks real tight. Oh, it looks sweet, bro. Oh, yeah. Then what are you crying about? Yeah, well, the big problem was we went to pull the bed away from the wall, and it's a sleigh bed, and we pulled... It's a what bed? A sleigh bed. What is a sleigh bed? Where Santa comes in. It kind of looks like a... No, Mike, it's shaped like a sled. Yeah, it's really weird. Exactly, it is. No, it's not. Like a sled? Like Santa Claus is... Yeah, like Google image. Like the head and the footboard kind of have that curve to it, like a sled. Okay, I love this. You know, like rich people. Yes, Mike, it's made of solid gold.
So we go to pull it away from the wall and all of a sudden we hear this big crack, you know, and we look at the frame itself and the frame itself is fine, but it has these little supports that run underneath it. And you busted them? And we busted one, but I was fine with it, but no. The boo was not having it. So we had to take the whole entire bed apart. Every like we literally had to take the whole entire bed apart. Oh, man. See, this would be difficult for me because I don't mind a perfectionist, but I don't want to be involved in your perfection. Yeah, you deal with it. Yeah, because so we took like the mattress off and the box springs off and then he sees the. Piece that's broken. So he literally took the whole entire bed apart, moved it out of the room, bought new wood, put it together. And you can't just put it back together. You have to drill it. You have to screw it. You have to use wood glue now. Dedicated. Like things that were never even there before. The man is dedicated.
That's right. You should be so thankful. Such workmanship. It turned into quite a weekend. Craftsmanship. And then since our bed was taken apart on Saturday night, we had to sleep. We couldn't make love, which I was furious about. I was furious. We had to sleep in our guest room. In the bathtub, boo. Let's do this. Okay. We had to sleep in the guest room, which has a small bed. So the two of us, three cats in this small bed. You don't let your cats in there then. Okay. What is the matter with you? What is the matter with you? What am I going to do? What am I going to do, bro? You act like I'm in control. You act like I run that house. I don't. They do. You are a shame. Yes. It was delightful. Wow. There's something else, lady. Yeah, great fun on the weekends. Oh, I know what I wanted to play you. Tell me what you guys think about this. Tell me what you think about this. Okay. Oh, by the way, Paul Harvey died. It's very sad. Sky refuses to honor him. She hasn't honored him in the entire show. I love that Rob Lowe is...
bringing the word square back. Oh, do it. Because you're an American Idol fanatic. True? I am. I love that show. And I guess it's sort of square maybe to like it in Hollywood circles, but I love it. You think it's square? There are people who find it square. It's sort of like going to McDonald's or Starbucks. You really like doing it, but you feel sort of dirty afterwards. I think you should force square in the word world. Bring it back. Bring it back. No, do not. Yes. Hey, soda pop. Give me a beer. That's a fantastic reference. Right? Jeez. Soda pop. Even Dennis Miller right now is like, good one. God went bad. God went bad. What is that, Rob? You're going to like this. Big name wrestler. Former big name. Uh-huh. Twittering that he may be coming back to wrestling. Whoa. Is it Greg the Hammer Valentine? Yeah. It is not. Is it Tito Santana? Okay, wait. Hang on. You start guessing. I'll tell you. Get it right, Rob. I'll tell you who it is when we come back. And if you want trivia, line up. We'll be back. We're listening to the Mikey Show. How dare you all attack him like this? Mikey. Michael is your superior. You should be bowing down in front of him. This is Rock 105.3. Not a government program or agency. You know, Ash, Could you send a help desk about my microphone? Oh, what happened? My microphone just broke, and I'm literally holding it in my hand like I'm on stage. Yeah, isn't that fantastic? Yeah, that's right. I want to let people know about Amco. That's right. Amco is the place to go. In fact, I'm going to stop there today with my microphone, and I'm going to see if they can do some work with that.
Your microphone's transmission light is on. It is. Well, it's more than that. It's basically I'm broken down on the side of the road. You're a broken down piece of meat. That's right. I'm both. Let's just say that immediately. I'm an old broken down piece of meat. Okay, well, great. Maybe what we could do is we could tie this to a broomstick. And, you know, Rob doesn't do that much. He could hold it, you know, like a broom for me on the broomstick. And he could be like, he could be best boy. Or, you know, boom guy or whatever. Might be the grip. So Amco is fantastic. If the check engine light is on, stop by. And they will do a free diagnosis. Now, if there's any additional diagnosis needed, then tell them you're a P1. They'll give you 10% off on the repairs. I'm still thinking about which wrestler it was that twittered. And I'm thinking it could be George the Animal Steel. Or it could be Don Morocco. Or it could be the Junkyard Dog, but he died.
Well, then it obviously couldn't be him. Could be a dragon steamboat. The guy with the parrot. Coco Beware. Yeah, that's it. Could be Ravishing Rick Rude, but he died. I'm ready. I can tell you. It's not anybody who's dead. Could be Mr. Perfect, but he's dead. Macho Man. Again, it's no one who's dead. None of the dead guys. Demolition. Oh, Axe and Smash. Good call, Rob. Yes. This guy, who is it? It's the Hulkster. Brother. When did he leave wrestling? Yeah. Well, he says that he spoke. Right, right? Yeah, he's out, but I mean, like, he comes back, like, every year. Does he really? Yeah. What does he do? Like, MC? No, he'll come, make an appearance, and, like, you know, one of the big names now will, like, get in his face, and Hulk will, like, punch him, and then he'll leave. Pretty much. Yeah, so he Twittered over the weekend saying that he had just spoke with Vince McMahon and that he's open to him coming back and doing something, maybe at WrestleMania. And then he says, stay tuned, maniacs. Is that really what he said? He said, stay tuned, maniacs. You know we're all Hulkamaniacs, so don't act like you're not. I'm not. You are. I definitely am not, Eddie. Eddie.
Probably the biggest wrestling fan in the world is President Aminjad from Iran. Oh, is that right? Probably. Well, you know, I know he was a big Iron Sheik fan. Yes. Yes. Big fan of the character, the Ayatollah, in the movie The Wrestler. Is he really? Or not. Or not. He's upset and is demanding an apology for two American films. I don't understand. And what are they, Sky? Well, here we go. So... He wants an apology for the wrestler and 300. But why? Well, I'm guessing the wrestler or the Ayatollah. Yeah. But that's stupid. He's upset about the reference to the Ayatollah. Because of the scene with the Ayatollah who tries to choke out Mickey Rourke's character with an Iranian flag. Right. And then 300, he says many Iranians are upset for its portrayal of Persians as decadent, sexual, flamboyant, and evil people. But didn't that... It's fully take place like years and years and years ago. You don't know. You don't know when that took place. Well, I'm confused. He sounds a little off his rocker. But doesn't that kind of give you pause in that they're trying to come up with nuclear weapons? Yeah, yeah. And he's worried about the wrestler.
Well, I think he needs an apology first. I'm sorry. Do you think that if he doesn't get an apology for the movie The Wrestler, he might create nuclear weapons? I think he will. I do, too. I personally have an old broken down piece of meat. Yeah, well, he's going to bomb you. You better apologize, dude. Yeah. Ram jam him. Yes, Randy. Ram jam him. I don't know what that means. But what if we did some of this? Come on. Do you know who's most overweight? Let's do this. Do you know who's a germaphobe? All right, here's the way that P1 Trivia works. You call us up if you know Mikey Show Trivia. It's all about the Mikey Show, and if you win, you get to come into the studio on Friday. What do you get? You get to sit in, have a behind-the-scenes look at how we do the show. You also get a backstage pass and a catered breakfast. It's a pretty cool deal. P1 Bianca is on the line. Hi, Bianca. Was also the name of the doll from the movie Lars and the Real Girl. That is true. That is right. Awesome. Interesting reference. That's right. Bianca, welcome to the program. Let's ask you a couple of questions, Bianca. How long have you been listening to the show? About three years. Okay, and how old are you? 18. 18 years old. And you've been listening for three years. Wow, you've been listening since you were 15.
All right. Your competition today, Bianca, is going to be P1 Omar. Hello, Omar. Hello, Mikey. How are you doing? I'm all right. Good, man. How old are you? 27. How long have you been listening? Ever since Mikey, sorry, Rob and Ashley started. Three years? Four. Four years? We just had our anniversary. Happy anniversary. Thank you. Your gift's in the mail. Thank you. Oh, it is? Yes. I'll be expecting it. Okay. Four years. All right, Bianca, we'll start with you. You ready? Yes. All right. Would you like a one, two, or three-point question? The object is to get to five. Okay. I'll have a two. All right. Your two-point, everybody is going two, by the way. Yeah. That's a safe bet, Mike. It's a good strategy. It is true. Let's see. Your two-point question is, when does Mikey give his testimony every week? On Fridays at the end of the show. That is correct. Perfect. Very well done. Do I have a... There we go. Booyah. Booyah kasha. Very well done. Omar, would you like a one, two, or three-point question? Two points. You got it. What infomercial product did we test on Boston Rob a couple of weeks ago? Product.
What infomercial product did we test on Boston Rob a couple of weeks ago? Oh, man. It worked good. It did work good. Little hint there. Boston Rob looked awesome. Awful. When we did it. Wow. Let me put it this way. We saw his pierced nipples. Sexy. What infomercial product did we test on B-Rob the other week? Three seconds. I don't know. I can't remember. Sorry, dude. We tested the ShamWow. Works awesome.
We tested the ShamWow. We stuck him in soda pop. A vat of soda. I don't know why we felt the need to use soda. I don't either. They used it on the commercial. Is that what they do? But they didn't dunk a human in it. Yeah, but it's the rug, Rob, it's the same thing. Yeah, you follow me, camera guy? Dude, it dried every single drop of liquid from his body. It was awesome. It sold me on the ShamWow. Yeah, I want like 12 of them. We had to burn the one that we used on Rob's. Well, duh. Filthy. Touch things. Oh, yeah. No way. No two ways about that. Bianca, you can wrap it up with a three, or you can play it safe and go two or one. Okay, I'll have a three. You want a three-point? Thank you. Your three-point question is, Eddie says that MySpace is the new... Booty call. I like you, ladies and gentlemen. That was fantastic. Shut up, Mike. Okay, now what we do, Skye, what we do, if the person doesn't get one right. It's an outrage. Well, first of all, it's an outrage. You've been outraged all day. That's right. But what we do is we give them one last shot. All right, Mike. And the way that we do it, Omar, is I'm going to give you a one-point question, and if you can answer it, you can come in. All right, cool. Are you ready? I'm ready.
All right, what is the name of the game that we play that involves general and basic knowledge that even a three-year-old could answer? The name of the game? Yeah, what's the name of that game that we play that involves, you know, just general basic questions, just general knowledge, and we play it with three members of the show? Three seconds, Omar. Oh. I'm very sorry. Darn it. I am very, very sorry, Omar. Let's try. Omar, the answer. The answer is the dumb chick challenge. Sorry about that, Omar. It's all right. Oh, Bianca. Dude, we have not not had. That's crazy. You know what I mean? Yeah, it's been a long time. Bianca, hang on the line, okay? All right. Very well done. Yeah, we have not had a person not do a two-person. Got to send him to the P1 party at David Buster's and have him get some schooling. When is that? This Friday.
Is it this Friday? Yeah, it's this Friday. This one coming up at Dave and Buster's? Yeah, I think it starts at 7 o'clock. They're asking for 15 bucks at the door because, you know, it's a big party. They're having to rent out the room themselves. Even for show members or? No, I'm just wondering. In lieu of a talent fee. You are the best. Let me tell you. The only way out of that for you was that. Because that line was so great. The admission should be calm. You're the best. These are questions. You guys weren't thinking it. Wow. Please. Listen to me, okay? That was shocking. It was. That was an outrage. If I am going to forego my general talent fee for this appearance.
I could just set up the old autograph sign and boot. But they're going to give you a $12 power card, so it's really like you're only paying $3. Well, of course they are, Eddie. I mean, do you think I would go without a power card? I don't know. Would I go without a free power card? Well, I would assume so. Am I power stupid here? I thought you wanted to see all the P1s, but... Eddie! I'm a fool. I am being a fool. Listen. You're acting a fool. You're acting a fool. I'm acting a fool. It costs $15, but like Eddie was saying, you get a $12 card to play the games, and you get to meet Sky. Hello. Well, let's hope. Yeah. Well, yes, if they step up to the plate, then you certainly will. For 15 minutes. With one photo. And I'll have a 10-minute break in between. Yes. There will be a 10-minute in a motion. Stop it. I will allow people to ask one question. So choose wisely. Yes. Questions will be screened. Yeah. Of course. So, yeah. Anyway, if you want more info on it, go to P1Site.com and check it out. Yeah. P1Site has a Facebook group.
You want to search him on there? Sky is now deferring to Rob. Oh, that's fine. I'll be the spokesperson. Rob is now the spokesperson for not having Facebook. Nice. Let's see. What have I not got to? Paul Harvey, God rest his soul, passed away at 90 years old. We should only be so lucky. Forget about it. Live to be 90 years old. It's a good run. Plenty of mozzarella. What does that even mean? Keeps you alive. That's right. That's what keeps people alive. Mozzarella. Mozzarella. Eddie, did you see Celebrity Apprentice? I saw the first hour. It was two hours. Was it? Yeah. Oh, man. It started at like nine. Who was the first person to get kicked off? I don't know. I only watched the first hour. Hang on, hang on, hang on. But I can tell you it's an interesting group of people. I have it. Would you rather me save it so that you don't have to know? I don't care. No, I guess it's fair for the listeners. Let me tell you who I think it is. Who? Annie Duke. No, it better not be. Annie Duke was crazy. Why? We love Annie Duke. She's been in the studio before. But she was immediately like, it's like she's never watched a reality show. She immediately was bossy. She was telling everybody what her ideas are. Don't do that, Chad. So if it was my guess, she was the first to be fired. Here is the first firing. Herschel. He really fought to stay. Herschel Walker? Yeah.
Andrew Dice Clay, Annie Duke, Dennis Rodman. Yeah. These are some of the people that are... It's so ridiculous. Like Joan Rivers. Joan Rivers. Khloe Kardashian. Who Kardashian? Khloe. Khloe Kardashian. It's the youngest one. These are these celebrity apprentices. Clint White. He did, and he did. And you wanted to quit, and I hated it. No, I didn't want to quit. I was willing to take it for a lot of reasons. I think your kids should be very proud of you. And I've known you a long time. And I've also known that you've been through a lot. And you're not a quitter. But Andrew, you're fired. Nice. Thank you. Thank you very much. Oh, my gosh. Now, I'm not watching, but I'm surprised because he seemed to be very good for television. Yeah, that's what is the surprising part. But he was like terrible. Like he didn't want to do anything. You know, like there's the I'm actually surprised that the men's team didn't win. But anyway, he.
He didn't want to make the cupcakes. He didn't want to look like a jerk. What do you mean, mate? What are you talking about? Their challenge was to sell cupcakes. Yeah. And, like, whoever sold the most or made the most money. And they actually had to go into the bakery, like, put on little aprons and hats. And Dice was like, I'm not doing it. Dude. I'm not doing it. He goes, I'm going to go on serious radio and promote it. How about that? That would be my job. And he just left. Oh, my gosh. So it's not a surprise that he got fired. Wow. I'm surprised being that, you know, I mean, he was one of the bigger names there. This is Andrew Dice Clay complaining to Donald Trump about the living situation. This is great. I see disharmony on the men's team, and I've gotten really good at this stuff. You know what it is? I got to tell you what it is. I mean, a lot of us are up all night, like Rodman and myself. Like Rodman. There's no bagels. You know, there's no butter. There's no...
You know, so if you could just, I know this has nothing to do with the winning, but yet we got to have energy and we come in and there's nothing to eat. And whose fault is it? It's your fault because you're your people. There's no bagels, there's no butter. There's no bagels. If there were just butter in their dice, would that have been okay? No bagels. Dude, I love what he does. You know, you're trying to have energy. Well, whose fault is that? Well, it's yours. That's so great, dude. That's awesome. Oh, that's too bad he got kicked off. I actually would have watched it if he had stayed. Because he's so... You know, there's something about Dice. As foul and whatever he is, there's something kind of charming about Dice that gets you. You know, there's something about him that gets you that's a little bit charming. This is weird, man. Talk to me about Whoopi Goldberg's comments. Whoopi. Talk to me about Whoopi and her comments about ageism. Are we guilty? I don't mean we just set the table, but isn't this something that...
We all carry. I mean, I have to say that I have been in the car on occasion and an older person than I might be driving at a very slow pace. And I have screamed. You all move. Now, if this were, you know, had to do with race, would it be as funny? You know, I mean, this is about. age and stereotyping old people you know that they're they're in the middle of actually doing something that's part of the stereotype right and a stereotype is you're old you can't drive and so she's talking about how she actually visually observed an old person not being able to drive and that's what she said and it's funny right okay now if you were to observe a black person in the middle of a black stereotype
And you talk about it and how you were like, oh, my goodness, I can't believe they're filling the black stereotype here. Is it still a ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha? Well, I'm saying, are there moments where we all have that in us? I think anybody who says when we've been by ourself, we haven't said anything that's bad. Yes, I think the answer to her question is yes. I think that at one time or another, we have all. been guilty of a stereotype of some kind or another. I mean, right? Sure. I mean, I can't think of one of us that has, you know, as you're listening right now, maybe there's one person out there that's like, nope, I've never ever thought in terms of stereotype. I've just never done it. Maybe there is. And to that person, I say, wow. Bravo. Good job, Scott. Good job. Thank you. Good job. I work hard at it. Now, here is Hoopy talking about the stereotype she dislikes the most. Watermelon always gets made. There was an email that went around from a politician, an email joke, and it had the White House and it had a watermelon patch in front of the White House. This just happened. He didn't think there was... Where was that, she said? Some email going around from a politician?
Really? That's what she said. That's crazy. Dude, from a politician? How did that not make news? That's what I'm saying. Is there anything offensive about you? Just funny. Why does it bother you? No, no, I'm saying that's one of the stereotypes that people associate. And that has been a stereotype with black people from before the turn of the century. But I would say that that's not as offensive as saying that black people are lazy. But you're not black. Right. No, that's what I'm saying. But if a white person. Is that a black stereotype? Yeah, I've heard that before. All right. Says that I immediately, I'm put off a little by it, and I would assume the sisters and brothers are too. We should be put off by all of those things, all of the above. Check, check, check. When someone says to me, hey, do you love watermelon? People say to Whoopi Goldberg, who says that, Whoopi? Really? Like, when's the last time, Whoopi, somebody walked up and said, hey, do you love watermelon? Yeah. You know what I mean? Maybe. I looked up that email with the watermelon patch, and it was sent by the mayor of Los Alamitos, California, sent this email. He forwarded it on, and it was sent to him, and I guess the subject was no Easter egg hunt this year.
And then it had watermelons in front of the White House. Dude. And he forwarded on. So he is. Smart guy. Is he fired? He's stepping down as the mayor, but will remain on the city council. Oh, my. Weird. I always have to wonder. Are you asking me that because I'm black? Yeah. And black people are. Well, why are they asking you that? That is weird. She was probably like. No one. Guys, no one has ever asked me. No, no, no. No one's ever walked up to me. Hey, Mike, do you like watermelon? Really? No. That happens to me like every day. What about burritos? Yeah, they do. I do get that. See, then now we're talking. I would put money on it that it was one time that someone was like making a fruit salad and had to, and it was bringing it to her house. And asked her, do you like watermelon? Should I put watermelon in this fruit salad? And she's like, oh, it's got to be watermelon. Could be. Can't you speak? Possible. That was probably the one time that it happened. Yeah. You know what? And that's kind of an interesting point because think of whatever the stereotype is about whatever your nationality is. Is it possible?
that maybe the person was just asking. Like, is it possible that somebody might ask me if I like burritos because they're interested? What's your favorite burrito shop? Yeah, dude, maybe they're like... Burrito shop? Yeah. They're not really called burrito shops. Taco shop. Maybe somebody wants... No, you were right. Burrito shop. Thank you, Mike. That's how I ask it to Mike. Yes. No, but what if somebody is actually trying to find the right taco shop so they say to me, hey, Mike, what's your favorite taco shop? What's up with you, dude? What's your problem? Because I'm Mexican? Is that the deal? Associated with watermelon? Or are you asking me because you got some in the refrigerator and you want to share it? Or you're selling fruit. A lot of it comes from, wait a minute, there's certain things. Like if somebody says to you, do you want pasta? It's like, whoa, whoa. Yeah, yeah, I'm Italian, you racist. Don't mind that. Yes, it's because I'm Italian. Do you want pasta? That's the old racist. Or mozzarella. Maybe it's this. Maybe it's this, Eddie. Throw up. Eddie. Let it go. I can still see you even though you look out the window. Moots. What? Moots. Oh, are we still talking about this? Moots. Shush. Moots. A brusque. Bru. Okay. All right. Comment down, please. Maybe this is the unspoken rule. What, Mike?
If your race has experienced racism, then it's kind of off limits to ever ask you if you're into that stereotype. But if your race was not discriminated against, for instance, you know, in any big way, the Irish, the Italians, the Mexicans, in a big way, a way like Jews have been discriminated against or blacks have been discriminated against, then don't go there. Is that the unspoken rule? I'm asking. I'm not saying. I'm just asking. I mean, I'd rather not offend anybody. Right. So maybe it's a good idea to not ask if you are making a fruit salad. Just put it in there. Just put it in there. Or not. Some people have allergies, Eddie. You should know that better than anybody. Okay, but if I see, I know I'm allergic to bananas. If I see banana and fruit salad, I'm not having fruit salad. But if I'm bringing it specifically to your house. That's not racist, though. That's not racist. So Sky, just don't ask. We're going to just say this right now. Don't ask, please. But it's not racist. It can be. Mozzarella. If you're ever coming to my house for a party, don't ask if you can bring bean dip. Don't. What about those fajita warmers I gave you? Not safe. Bad territory. Racist. Bad territory.
But only because it was a re-gift. It was not. It was a re-gift. It was a re-gift. It was not. It was a re-gift. You just closed your eyes in such a way that told me that it wasn't. It was. I will dig up the Kohl's receipt. I will dig up the Kohl's receipt. Dig it up. I will. If you dig up a Kohl's receipt, because I know you save receipts. What year was it? It was like two Christmases. It was before we started doing Secret Santa, I think. If you dig up a Kohl's receipt. Then what are you going to do? That says from that time. Yeah. What are you going to do? Let's think about this. It's got to be something good. It's got to be something good. Good. Yeah. It's got to be good. Yeah. I will handle a rodent. Oh, my God. Wow. This is awesome. Now, it's got to be your biggest fear. It's got to be one of those like. White ones. Like a sewer rat. Which still make me sick, by the way. Oh, I hope I haven't even said that. Sewer rat. Sewer rat. Sewer rat. Sewer rat. It must say. Oh, don't. How dare you give me. Oh, no. How dare you. Full show podcast at MikeyShow.com. Hey, ladies. Finally a way for you to urinate standing up. Details next. Five, three.

Jason, you're nice working. Thank you. He's nice working. That makes sense. That's what I was thinking. Did you know that AIG might get another 30 bill from the government? Just stop it. How much money do they need? 30 bill. On top of the money they already got? Dude, that's gross. This would be the fourth installment of taxpayer money that they would be getting. And I guess the government already holds an 80 percent stake in the company because we've given them so much money. So they're just going to own it? So basically, yeah, the government, the taxpayers basically going to own this company. But they go on to say that, you know, that AIG has ties to almost every major financial institution in the world. So we can't allow it to fail because there'd be so many problems created by that. That is so bad, man. I don't like you, Mike. I wish we could get in the DeLorean, get it up to 88, and just get into the future when the economy's back. Oh, please. Oh, that'd be awesome. I would love it. Rebecca went on to the California government's website, and they said that tax returns are not off, but they're kind of on hold. What does that mean?
You know, because the whole budget thing went through and everything. Right. And so we were thinking, well, the budget went through. So, yeah. I'm sure they'll be giving us our dough. And they're basically saying for the state of California, if you got a state refund, they're not saying that they're not going to give it to you. But they are saying we just don't know when. They are indefinitely delayed. Garbage. Wow. Which. Get it together, man. Get it together. Yeah, I did my taxes this weekend, and my tax guy was kind of telling me that same thing, and he was like, yeah, wouldn't it be great if they send you like an IOU or a letter or something, and then you just send that in with your property tax? Yeah. Like, you don't send a check, just send them that. You're like, hey, I thought this was good as money. That should be how it goes, man. Yeah, because we owe you money, or you owe us money. Yeah. Hey, wait a minute. If I borrow... 10 bucks from Sky for lunch and the next day she needs money? Can't I say, well, or the next day I need money. Can't I say, well, I owe you. We're good. Right? Wouldn't anybody do that? So why can't we do that? Because it's the government. They own us, Mike. It's brutal. Let's see. What else we got? Laura Bush.
gave Michelle Obama gave Laura Bush a journal the last day they saw each other when they were doing the changing of the guard. How sweet is that? And let's see. This is her talking about it. And is he having a hard time adjusting? Not really. I don't think so. I mean, I think that I'm sort of having to adjust and not feeling stressed all the time. I think I didn't realize how stressful. that life was until I went to bed one night and thought, now what am I going to do tomorrow? I got in bed and sort of worried and then remembered I didn't have anything to do tomorrow except unpack boxes and have fun and see my friends. One of the things that Michelle Obama gave me that last day when we left was a journal and she had had a quote of Louis L'Amour's. Calligraphy in the top of it. The words were something like. Louis L'Amour writes like westerns, right? I don't know who that is. I think Louis L'Amour writes westerns. You think it's an ending, but it's only a beginning. So that each ending is really a beginning of something else. And certainly that's what this next part of our life is. Any of you guys write in a journal? Nope. I try to. So I've tried.
to. It's tough to stay with it, but yeah, I got different things. Dude, it's a great idea. I'm almost feeling like my blog is my journal. Yeah, I feel that way too. I put a lot of thoughts and feelings in there. That's right. Our blogs, by the way, are available if you want to read these thoughts and feelings. Go to MikeyShow.com and you can see our blog section right there at the top. Click on our pictures and it'll take you to our blogs. Yeah, it's a good idea. You know, if for no other reason, just to go back later and see like what you're up to. Evidence. Wait, what? Yeah. Exactly. That is weird. Let's see. Axl Rose called slash a cancer in a recent interview. Other way around, bro. Yeah, that was my thought, too. Yeah, Axel is doing an interview, and he was talking about Slash and said, quote, personally, I consider him a cancer and better removed and avoided, and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters, the better. And then he went on to say that a full reunion of Guns N' Roses is never going to be possible because of his feelings for Slash.
And then when he was asked if Slash was the reason that Guns N' Roses broke up, he said, quote, It's my belief that the commitment to end old Guns N' Roses started in the heart and soul of one man. Really? You. Yeah, you nut. Nobody can work with you. That's brutal, dude. P1 Spam Jelly. Hey, guys. Hope you had a good weekend. Good weekend. Dude, it actually, it was. Eddie had a stressful weekend. I had a semi-relaxing weekend. Sky was putting together a sleigh bed. Boston, Rob, what did you do? I saw Mal do comedy. Oh, yeah. Our friend Mal Hall. Saturday night. And Ashley was in Palm Springs leaving her dog with some friends. I had a great weekend. That's right. Played a little Bones. It was real good. Some dominoes. Hey, this question is for Edward. Hey, Eddie. I was wondering if there's a possibility that you can construct some kind of March Madness pool for the P1. Holy cow. Get it, Eddie. That might be hard to do. I don't know. I'll look into it. I'll do it. I'll play. Sky won it. You won it. For the whole building. I mean, I'll play.
Sky won out of like a whole bunch of people that were here on the Clear Channel building. She won the whole thing. No, she didn't. That's accurate, Mike. That is not true. She did not win the whole thing. I am the best. She came in second. Oh, I thought you won, Sky. Well, I was like number one the whole entire time up to the very last few games, and then I got knocked down to second place. Who won it the year you lost it to? Who? Somebody dumb. I thought you won it. No, I don't know. I don't remember who won. It just wasn't me, and that's all I remember. When does it start? The tournament? In like two weeks, something like that? Yeah. A couple weeks? I'm going to do a... Yeah, let's do it. Let's do a P1 one, Mike. Yeah, I'm going to do one. Yeah. Well, I'm going to get into a pool. Well, yeah. Is that what you're calling? You'll get in the P1 one. Yeah, I'm going to do it. Okay. Thank you for the call. If you want to use them as a service, that'd be great. Right on. You're great. P1 Chris is calling in to tell us about those California refunds. What do you got, Chris? Hey, Mike. What's going on? Not too much. Hey, I was talking to my financial advisor who does my taxes also. And from what he's telling me, the state has to issue you your state refund check by the 15th. That has to be dated by the 15th. Or otherwise, it starts to accrue a 20% interest rate. April 15th? Oh, sweet. Hold on to mine, state. April 15th? April 15th. Haven't heard that. Now, I don't know where your tax guy got that. Didn't they issue you an IOU by April 15th?
No, your check actually has to be issued out to you. Otherwise, it can accrue a 20% interest rate. You know, are you sure you're not talking about the other way around? If you don't file by the 15th, you owe 20% if you owe the government money? No. State government? No, what he told me was that if you do not receive, they're going to start issuing out checks. But the people that file their income tax kind of like around the first time of the year, they're the ones that are going to start getting their checks first. But he says that you can wait about 30 to 60 days from starting with about the first year when you first start getting your information to file taxes. And if they don't send you a refund check by the 15th, it will accrue a 20 percent interest rate that the state owes you. Never heard that before in my life. Yeah. No joke. I even looked it up on the Internet and it's exactly right. Sky's Googling right now. So if it's right, we'll tell you. OK, thank you. She's a Google master. She'll find it if it's there. But that's that would be great. Heck yeah. You know, if they were giving you 20% for every month that goes by. Hold on to it. Yeah, for sure. We'll see. Drew Barrymore is a contender to direct the third Twilight movie. What the hell? Third. Has there been a second? Yeah. Well, the second one is in the works right now. Okay. Who's directing that one? Not the same person. Martin Scorsese. Yeah. Martin Scorsese.
I'm directing on the side, guys. Yeah. She's doing a little work on the side, a little side project. It's me. Yeah. No. Yeah. So she's in the talks. Do it. Who knew she was a big-time director? I didn't know. Has she ever directed anything in her life? She directed E.T. Well, she has a movie. That's what I heard. Oh, really? She directed E.T. No, she was just a kid in that. She found E.T. That's what it was. No. No, she has a movie coming out. Sometimes I get those confused, too. Ellen Page. I forget what it's called, but you know, the Juno chick. Stop it. She does. Just stop. She directed it. Quit it. Eddie. What? Calista Flockhart's never seen Star Wars. But isn't she with... Harrison Ford. Yeah. Pawn Solo. For like seven years they've been together. For sure. I don't... How is it possible? I can't even react to that. Well, yeah. How is it possible? First of all, even if you weren't... Dating Han Solo, lady, what's the matter with you? For real. It's the best, greatest, hugest movie of all time. Calm down. Well, Skye, she's dating Han Solo. Well, and doesn't she have like a young son who's like eight or nine years old? That's kind of weird too, huh, Eddie? Wouldn't he have seen it? Eddie, what do you think about that? It's got to be upsetting. Oh, that is hard to tell. Tell me about it, Chewy. That's weird.
Let's see. Sky, tell me about the rock stars that are going to be in the online poker tournament. This is pretty cool. So Scott Ian of Anthrax, he likes to play online poker. And so he would play online poker with some of his other rock star friends. And then this website, ultimatebet.com, reached out to him and said, hey, would you and all your rock star friends like to do a poker tournament? And money will go to charity and people can join the tournament and win money. So he got Kirk Hammett from Metallica, Jerry Cantrell. Alice in Chains, Slash from Velvet Revolver. Heck as a cancer.
And Vinnie Paul from Pantera, as well as himself, Scott Ian, and then two poker players, Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, will all take part in this online poker tournament. And so basically you can go on to ultimatebet.com, play in some of their qualifying tournaments, and then 20 players, in addition to all these rock stars and poker players, will play in this major final tournament, and you can win $10,000. Whoa. Yeah, so it's pretty cool. UltimateBet.com. That'd be cool. And, you know, you can chat while you're playing with the rock stars and stuff. I don't want to do that. You don't want to chat with Kirk Hammett? No. How about Vinnie Paul? I'll take his money. Okay. Okay, here is something that was just an instant message to me from Bobby Kernels. Bobby. Bobby. I spent the whole weekend with that kid. Oh, you guys are loved. What are you, lovers? Just say yes. It'll cut off all conversations. Congratulations. We were married, Eddie. He's too good for you. Interest owed. Past due taxes are charged interest beginning 61 days after the due date. For most taxes due on or after January 1st, 2000, this interest rate varies annually.
Set at 1% over the prime rate as published in the Wall Street Journal. Calculating interest owed. Yeah. You can calculate the interest you owe. That's the interest that you owe. That's not the... Bobby! Bobby! I don't get it. It's numbers. Sky, you explain it. I didn't get the link. Send it to Sky. Another link. Colonels. Yeah. I don't understand. Yeah, I'm looking on the California government website under tax refunds delayed. And it was updated February 20th and said, when would the delay be lifted? As soon as cash problems are solved, the refund delay will be lifted. Never? Great. Oh, awesome. Yeah, I don't see anything on there. Yeah, that's awesome. You know, if the state cash flow problems don't improve, controller may need to issue IOUs. If they issue IOUs, you'll receive a paper warrant, even if you request a direct deposit. Five paper warrants. Yeah, I don't see anything about them.
Yeah, I don't know. Bobby sent me the link and then he also, I am saying, I think I'm wrong. So I don't know what that specifically means. Business as usual. That's fantastic. Yeah, I think this is on if you're late paying, how much you would owe. If you live in LA, this is no cussing week in LA County. Yeah, so figure it out. In Los Angeles County, they've declared it no cussing week. Yeah. So this does not apply to San Diego or Stanislaus County. So we're good. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, well, I guess this all started with this 15-year-old kid in South Pasadena who started the No Cussing Club at his school. I bet he's popular. Dude, the same thought. Listen, good noble cause and everything, kid, but come on, dude. You're not going to help yourself by starting the No Cussing Club. Just do your own thing, bro. So anyway, so the L.A. lawmakers heard about it and they're supposed to set a proclamation this week that makes the first week in March no cussing week in L.A. County. The kid says he's really excited about it. And next year, his goal is to make the first week in March no cussing week in California. Dude, what do you do to like? OK, listen, they're going to have like a swear jar where everyone, you know, you know, I know what that is. It's a it's sort of a I think it's saying we could get out of the deficit, though. Seriously.
The jar of potty. Yeah, the jar of potty thoughts. Yeah, or the pot-o. Pot-o potty. Pot-o potty thoughts. Pot-o potty words. It's a work in progress. You know, if your kid wanted to, if your kid was really against cursing, you'd be like, oh, that's sweet, my kid. But if your kid came to you and he said, Dad, I'm thinking about starting the no cussing club at school. On one hand, you're like, oh, that's really, you know, my kid. He's a good kid and everything. And on the other hand, you're like, oh, man, I hope he doesn't get beat up for this one, you know? You know, he's gonna. You know, it's just, ay, yi, yi. What do you do in that situation? Spray paint bad words on his locker and things like that. What do you say to your kid? Eddie, what would you say to your kid? I would probably tell him, I said, you know what? That's a great cause and I appreciate the fact that you're doing that. But you can't. you know, make others believe in what you believe. Like you can kind of do your own thing and, and, you know, lead by example. Yeah, absolutely. Lead by example. There doesn't really need to be a club. Well, and maybe you could even, you know, say, Hey man, some kids ain't going to like this and they're going to think it's dorky. Well, can you say that? Cause then you're telling him that you think it's dorky. No, I don't think that you can say there's people there. There are going to be people that, you know, think you're kind of strange and weird and stuff like that.
Hey, that's what they thought about Jesus, man. That's the truth. Well, yeah, yeah. So maybe you warn him. You say, hey, listen, you can go out there and you can say this. You'll be scorned for it. You could get scorned for it. But if this is what you believe in, then stick to your gut. Now, are you telling him you think he's weird? Why would you be? That's a separate talk, right? I'm not saying that. I'm not saying I think you're weird. I'm saying some people might think you're weird. Yeah, like everybody. Like mom. Dad, why would they think I'm weird? If they say, what do you say? Because you are. Well, you don't want to say that either, right? I don't know. That's weird. Oh, man. That's a tough conversation, man. Maybe you say, listen, some people aren't going to like this. There are some kids at your school that like to cuss. Like Rob. Yeah. You know that kid Rob? You know, like that kid Rob. Steals your lunch money every day. I'm going to get out of middle school one of these days. Dirty bird. Let's see. P-1 Onirin? Is that how it's pronounced? P-1 Onirin? Is that right? P-1 Omirin. P-1 Omirin? O-N-Y-R-I-N. I have never heard that name before. Yeah, something I made up. Something that's put together by a word called... A word, a nylomancy, it's... Oh, no matter. Oh, no matter. What were you calling about?
I heard you guys talking about the tax thing, like what the interest secures and all that stuff on it. And I went to a California government site or whatever and left under where's my refund. And it says on there that like 45 days after April 15th, if you haven't received your taxes 45 days after April 15th, then there will be interest secured after that. And I'm not sure if it's like every day occurs or whatever. It's only 35 days after April 15th if you haven't received it. We have very, very different information we're getting. Yeah. Because one guy called and said, if it's not even by the 15th, you get 20% added to it. That doesn't sound right. No. Yeah. It all sounds a little wacky. Sky, did you find anything? No, I kept looking and looking. Nothing about interest being added on. Hey, Jimmy Fallon's show starts tonight. Oh! Get it, Rob. I guess so. Check that out, right, Rob? Oh, I have to. Rob is not a fan of Jimmy Fallon. He doesn't think he's very funny. Not at all. I want to be very critical of the show. Okay. Okay. Well, you can just... But what if it genuinely makes you laugh? We're going to do that? Then you know what? I'll let you know. All right.
Yeah, so he's going to have Robert De Niro, Van Morrison, and Justin Timberlake on tonight. Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake. And his house band is The Roots, so that's pretty cool. The Roots? Like, The Roots, The Roots? Yes, that's his house band. What? Yeah. Makes me like him even more. Look how angry he is. Who's the roots? How angry he is. This hip-hop band, they are awesome. Yeah, Rolling Stone considers, Rolling Stone calls them one of the 20 greatest live acts in the world. That's what I'd call them, too. You don't even know who they are. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have all their live albums, actually, because they're best live. Really? Come on, bro. They're okay on the recordings. Don't get me wrong. I have all their albums. You still prefer it. It's just if I am going to pick the way I get my roots, I want them live. You know it. There is a new invention for the ladies. Okay. Sky, why don't you tell everybody about it and be careful. There's FCC rules, okay? Let's all just calm down. There's rules. So there's a device that has been created for women and it's made of medical grade silicone.
Mike. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. I'm glad you said it. That's all. Thank you. Glad you're describing what it is. What is it? Well, it's called Go Girl. Okay. Sky. That's the name of the product. How are we supposed to say this? That is the name of the product. How are we supposed to say this? And it's called Go Girl. Go Girl? Yes. Okay, I'm listening. And it's basically a small funnel made of the medical grade silicone. And it allows women to urinate standing up. Finally. Stop it. What? Will you please? Finally. So maybe you're on a road trip and you're driving and you gotta go on the side of the road and you're like, oh, I wish I wasn't a girl right now because if I was a guy it'd be so easy. What is the hell? Yeah, and it's really inexpensive. It's only $4.99. Oh, look at that. So, I mean, every gal should have one and it comes with a little... And you know what? I think every gal would be comfortable on the way to Las Vegas pulling over and peeing on the side of the road starting up. Not cleaning it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It comes with a little carrying case so you can clean it when you get home. It's not like you just shove it back in your purse. Well, that would be disgusting if that's what you did. Yeah, so it'll be interesting to see if it takes off or not. Well, yeah, I think it will because I think that most women are...
comfortable urinating outdoors on the side of the road. That's normal. So it sounds like that's going to be a big hit. It's really going to catch on. It'll be weird when Ashley tries to take a number two in it. That's right. It's not meant for that. It's not meant for that. It's not meant for that. You learned that lesson. Real quick. No. It's not what it's for. Oh, it's not for that, darling. Tell Ashley. Sweetheart. No, no, no, babe. No, no, no, babe. No, no, no, babe. I'm finished. All right. I think it's full quick. Yes. Why don't you take a picture? It lasts longer. Okay. I'm sure it comes with instructions. I'm sure there's instructions, guys. Come on. Grow up. Oh, my goodness. Hey, what are you staring at? I will not laugh at you. any of this. Yes, you will because you think it's funny. I can see on your face that you think it's funny. Does this thing come with a pledger? That is a stupid thing to say, okay? Hey, I picked the wrong week to stop eating raisin bread. Oh my gosh, I almost vomited on that one. No, you did not. Come on. This one's going right down.
And you like how Mike was the one who gave us the talk about being all... Can you guys be serious here for a minute? See? All right? Wow. Can we act like adults around here? Ashley, you are unbelievable. Can we act like adults around here? You really got some growing up to do. Man, you're the worst. Be some adults. Thank you very much. Man, you're horrible. All right, we have to go. All right. Wow. So everybody out of my apartment. 570-1053 is our phone number. All right, and just in case you want to text us later in the day, like 4 o'clock today. Yeah, what do you got, Mike? We got textmikey at gmail.com. The home number is 760. Yeah, give us a call. Give us a call. It should be great. It should be real great. Tax refund. I'm sure we won't be getting those. Okay, take a couple calls, and then we'll call it a day. P1 House.
Hey, Mikey. What up? I'm getting ready to leave the area, and I just want to say I've listened to you all for the past three years, and this is by far the best radio show I've ever heard. I'm really going to miss you guys. Thank you, bro. Don't leave. Thank you. And I had an idea that if I could, if I could pass on to Sky, I know she's real big into cleaner fuels and the environment and everything. Yeah. She might be interested in developing a car that runs off of gophers and poor people. Oh, yeah. Sky, maybe you could do that. Patent pending? That's right. No. No way, Jose. I'm working on a car that runs on leaving the door open. That doesn't even make sense. Ridiculous. And I'm standing up. How weird is this, boo? Come check this out. You're gonna trip out. Look, boo, I'm just like you. Like twinsies. Will you guys just please grow up? Why don't you take a picture, all right? It lasts longer. Mike, really. Please, be adult. You were the one who was talking. You were talking to us. Can we please figure this out? You were talking to us about growing up and being adults. Skye, couldn't have been said better myself. That was perfect. What are you doing, bro? P1 Rocky. Hello. What's up? Hey, I just got my taxes done at H&R Block, and they told me that I do get a...
interest on my IOU from the state. I don't know how much they told me, I don't remember, but they told me that you do get interest once you get your IOU from the day you get it until they pay you the IOU. No, man, we sure are getting a lot of info. Eddie? I got breaking news about those missing NFL players that were out at sea. What happened? Well, it says, this is breaking news from CNN, the Coast Guard has found an overturned boat with one person clinging to it in the waters where they were searching for the four missing boaters, including two NFL players. They don't know whether or not the boat that they found is the one that they're searching for. But obviously, you know, pretty crazy that they found a boat. My guess is by the end of the day, we're going to know a lot more about that. We'll definitely know. We'll let you know what happens tomorrow in the sports dirt. P1's Philly's Finest wants to apologize for the city of Philadelphia. of all, PHR to the LLY in the hizzy. I've got it. Yeah. I just feel that I need to apologize on behalf of the city of Philadelphia for making the Denver Broncos better. How did you do that? Because Brian Dawkins and Carell Buchholzer are two very good players. Dawkins especially. That's right. I love Brian Dawkins. I wish he would have signed here. That's right. A lot of people like to ban Dawkins.
That's an interesting point, Mike. That's something to consider. That is very interesting. He's got a friend named Jeff talking, so what are you going to do? What are you going to do with that? Take that info. Doc! You know what I'm saying? So if he makes the Broncos better, then I'm just going to apologize right now. I don't accept your apology. I'm sorry. I don't. I'm hurt. Hey, listen. You can't just expect people to accept this apology. You can apologize all day long. I don't accept. Thank you. I'm sorry. They had the money to give him, but they just didn't, and the Broncos gave him a sweet deal. I had no control over it. I had none. I'm sorry. We'll be the judge of that. You can make up for it by writing an article in the UT about... Oh, okay. He's already written one about Ash. She went to San Diego State. And one about Monique and the man. Yeah, talk about me and my college career. But you didn't go to college. That's right. I can make something up. I guess you can't do that. Oh, boy. Thank you, Philly's Finest. All right. P1, Jeremy. Hey, how's everybody doing? What's up? This new silicone device thing, the military's been using those for years. They're called spuds.
FUDs? Female urination device. They use them on planes, on P3s, because there's no bathroom. Ah, this person stole it that came up with this idea. Probably did. Probably stole the idea. Have you heard about the invention they call MUDs? Eddie? Stop. I can tell by that. Stop. Right there. We're stopping right there. What? I cut him off, Mike. Cut him off. Eddie, you can't have any more drinks. That's it. I'm so thirsty. No. Get out of here. Ladies and gentlemen, a lovely and talented Missy is up next. She's got double shots for you today. Start your week off right with this. It's going to be an awesome day. Missy's going to bring this to you coming up, and we will see you back here tomorrow morning at 530. Mikey Show's out. Later.
