On The Mikey Show, Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Boston Rob, and Ashley bounced from sports to absurd personal stories as they argued over the Cowboys cutting Terrell Owens, planned a reenactment of Eddie's kamikaze-squirrel bicycle crash, and learned how many spouses hide or ignore each other's income. Michael Jackson supplied both a sprawling parody announcement and the real news of ten London shows, after which Mikey and Sky recalled sitting near him at a surreal Las Vegas radio gathering. The cast accused The Bachelor producers and Chris Harrison of manufacturing Jason's on-air switch from Melissa to Molly, while another news bit followed a woman who swallowed the engagement ring hidden in her milkshake. More serious arguments followed Nadia Suleman's 911 call and California's Proposition 8 challenge, with the hosts debating parental accountability, media scrutiny, majority rule, and minority rights. They also fought over DVR rankings, heard how Sky kicked disruptive theatergoers at Grease, and ended with a listener's Under the Sea parody about her life.
What happened, in order
Cowboys cut T.O.
Mikey, Eddie, and callers debated why Jerry Jones ate a huge salary-cap hit to cut Terrell Owens and whether any team could contain his talent and chaos.
Kamikaze squirrel
Mikey announced a filmed reenactment of young Eddie wrecking his sister's bicycle into a brick pillar while dodging a charging squirrel, with Boston Rob cast as the squirrel.
Salary secrets
The cast was stunned by a survey claiming 70 percent of spouses do not know each other's income, then callers described marriages with separate money, opaque paychecks, and delegated taxes.
Fake Jackson press conference
A long Michael Jackson impersonation replaced the expected concert news with absurd announcements about a bathtub-bubble drink, Katie Holmes, octuplets, Metallica, and buying Eli Manning.
The Bachelor setup
Mikey, Eddie, Rebecca, and the cast argued that Jason's televised switch from Melissa to Molly was producer-manufactured, while host Chris Harrison defended editing and denied that the ending was scripted.
Ring in a milkshake
A proposal stunt backfired when a woman swallowed the engagement ring hidden in her milkshake during a speed-eating contest and later recovered it after an X-ray and prune juice.
Octomom 911 call
After playing Nadia Suleman's frantic call about a missing child, the hosts and callers argued over ordinary parental panic, her threats of suicide in front of her children, and the extra scrutiny created by choosing to
DVR civil war
Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Boston Rob, and Ashley ranked their DVR priorities and turned disagreements over Lost, Weeds, Friday Night Lights, 90210, and Family Guy into a mock-serious shouting match.
Sky at Grease
Sky admitted kicking the seats of women who talked, sang, and texted through Grease before caller P1 Joe revealed that he had also seen her drunkenly doing audience dance moves.
Prop 8 clash
Mikey and Sky clashed over the challenge to Proposition 8, with Mikey defending the repeated majority vote and Sky arguing that voters cannot lawfully strip a minority of a constitutionally protected right.
Jackson's final curtain
Michael Jackson announced ten London O2 Arena shows as his final curtain call, prompting Mikey and Sky to recall sitting ten feet from him at a surreal Las Vegas gathering for radio staff.
Under the Sky
A listener sang an affectionate parody of Under the Sea about Sky's cats, open bathroom door, news-reading mistakes, old marijuana use, and borrowed sweaters.

608 The Mikey Show. Call us, 570-1053. Let's get this ball rolling. And text us, too, if you want to. Text Mikey at gmail.com. And there are five people on the show. I'm going to introduce us real quick. It's myself. I'm the host of the show. Eddie, who's been my best friend for over 20 years. We've worked together forever. Practically that whole time. Sky, who is our news girl. And is rocking a real sweet-looking jacket today. Rust color? Yeah, my friend Ashley got this for me. Love it. Oh, yeah. It's a pantsuit. Velvet pantsuit. And then there is Ashley, our assistant producer, who I describe as fearless. She is fearless. She has no fear. None. Zero. Zilch. Genius. And if you don't believe me, go to the Mikey After Show or the Ashley After Show at MikeyShow.com and just watch her talking to our good friend Taylor Hicks from American Idol. And then Boston Rob. He's the fifth member of the show. He's a kid sitting over there with all the tattoos on his arm. And he's a big fan of Boston sports, as you know. 570-1053. Get in here. Let's talk big news today. T.O. This is nuts, Eddie. Yeah. This is nuts. Oh, no.
Dunn in Dallas. I'm not ready. Dunn? Dunn-dun? Dunn-dun-dun? Yes. Wow, dude. Cut. Cut. Cut. The Dallas Cowboys. Cut. Oh. Yeah. Dude. Oh, shoot. I mean, they must really want to get rid of him, too, because it's going to cost about $9 million on their salary cap. Oh, my gosh. That's a lot of money. Dude. Of dead money. I just can't believe it, man. I can and I can't. I can and I can't. I don't know how old T.O. is. I don't know how much is left in the tank. We know he's a volatile guy, to say the least. Tough guy to deal with. Tough guy to deal with. I think Chris Berman said it best when he said, you throw a grenade into San Francisco and you wait a couple of minutes, boom. Throw a grenade into Philadelphia, you wait a couple of minutes, boom. Throw a grenade into Dallas, wait a couple of minutes, boom. So where will the grenade be dropped next? And will the grenade go off again? Maybe. Of course it will. No doubt, right? No doubt. There's no doubt. There are rumors swirling of where, you know, possible destinations.
San Diego Chargers. No. That is not one. No? Thank goodness. The Cowboys rivals, the Washington Redskins, are set to be interested. Of course. Well, yeah, Daniel Snyder, I mean, it's a name he recognizes, so he wants to sign him. He goes, oh, I've heard that name before. Yeah, I like that guy. Yeah, I want him. He's real good, right? He's a star? Yes. I'll sign him. That's one place. Minnesota was another place, but I don't see T.O. going up to Minnesota. And? The Raiders. Oh. Of course. He would be perfect. Of course. As a Raider. Of course. P1 Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. How's it going? Hey, how you doing? Pretty good. Tia's a jerk. At some point, it can't be the quarterback's problem everywhere he goes. McNabb, Garcia, whoever it is. I mean, he's just the problem. So, whoever picks him up. Oh, really? You think that it's not Tony Romo's fault for being best friends with Jason Witten? I think we all know what the deal is there. Yeah. Are you ready for some football? Wow. Dude, I thought that Jerry Jones would actually give this guy more and more and more and more. I'm, you know, kind of surprised Jerry Jones. Now, I'll tell you this. It says a lot about what.
T.O. must have done in Dallas for Jerry Jones to be like, see you later. No question. I mean, Jerry Jones loves the spotlight. He loves keeping his team in the spotlight. And that's definitely one thing that Terrell Owens does. It may not be positive stuff, but he keeps you in the headlines. So really interesting that he's not going to be there anymore. Oh, man. Okay. Let me throw this question out there, okay? What? could change Terrell Owens, what would it take for him to be a good player? I mean, not a good player. A good teammate. What would it take? Honestly, in all honesty, I think medication. I think he needs to be medicated. He has a big-time personality disorder. For me, I think that that guy needs some help. He's really
all over the place. It's almost like he has to have chaos in his life for him to feel good about himself. And he creates it. He creates drama where it's not needed. And there's something to that. He's a drama mama. He is a drama mama. That is the truth. 570-1053. You can also text us. Text Mikey at gmail.com. Terrell Owens. has been cut from the Dallas Cowboys. Do you want instant classic? Yes, sir. What's up, Mike? What's up, dude? Hey, I just wanted to say the Dallas Cowboys are quite possibly stupider, if I can use that as a word. Now, why do you say that? Look at this. They gave up a first-round draft kick and a third-round draft kick to get Roy Williams. Roy Williams sucks. I don't know about that. He's not better than T.O. Eddie, what do you think? That's a tough call. I think Roy Williams in Detroit was an elite receiver. To me, it's almost like Roy Williams has to be the guy. Because once Calvin Johnson got there, he kind of was pushed aside. When he played with T.O., he did nothing.
But when he was on his own in Detroit, he was the man. Roy Williams. Yeah, dude, he was great when he played for Detroit. He's a pro bowler. He definitely doesn't suck. He's not T.O. caliber, but the Dallas Cowboys will be 6-10 next year, guaranteed. Well, here's my thought on that. T.O. is definitely on the decline of his career, whereas I think Roy Williams is kind of in the prime. So do you keep sticking with T.O., or do you go with a guy who has the potential to be, you know, very good? Mm-hmm. So I don't know. I'm telling you, man. This is a crazy story. I think they need more help, though, at wide receiver. I mean, they can't just go with Roy Williams. Yeah. They need some other stuff. I'll do it. Yeah. I don't know. Fine. I don't know. You should at least get in there for a physical and a workout. I will throw out a name. What? And Quan Bolden. Oh. Oh. He's out there. Well, he's not, technically. What do you mean? Well, he's not a free agent or anything. He just wants out of Arizona. Yeah. And so if the Cardinals finally have enough of his stuff, I could easily see a trade to the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah. Maybe Jerry Jones makes that call. Starts to inquire. It's 6.15. Oh. What is that? You have three seconds. Two. One. You mean the Geico thing? Yes. Mm-hmm.
I have to play that commercial right at 6.15. Yes. Doesn't matter what we're doing, Mike. You have to stop everything and play it. Everything. Okay, I'll do it. The time is now 15 minutes after the hour. I know that. That's 15 minutes you could have used to possibly save a lot of money on car insurance by switching to Geico. Oh, good. If you missed out once again, this message will repeat every day at the same time. Oh, good. For those of you tired of hearing my voice, listen to my feet. I am. For a free rate quote, visit geico.com or call 1-800-947-AUTO. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance. I'm about to present to you a straightforward commercial for Geico, the third largest personal auto insurer in the country. Last year, over 3 million drivers switched to Geico, and Geico received a customer satisfaction rate of 97%. Standard & Poor's has consistently awarded Geico a AAA rating for financial strength. This is usually where I'd say something cute or clever. But like I said at the beginning, we're keeping this straightforward. Goodbye to you now. 15 minutes could save you hundreds on car insurance. Are we done? I did it, and? That was really good. I got to play that every... That's weird. I play it at the same time. The funny thing is, is that it doesn't even play at the same time every day. Right. No, switch hours. It's always 15 after the hour. It's always 15 after the hour. And sometimes 15 minutes will save you something.
I love Geico. Yeah, lizards. Geico's a good product and everything. I just want to put it out there. Yeah, it's a good product and everything. All I'm saying is, I'm trying to do a radio show here. Hey! That's what you're doing. Come on. They gotta try to play something 15 minutes after the hour. So, ta-da! Yeah, but... But don't you think when they were putting the idea together... And they were throwing out the ideas that at least one person in the idea room would say, but what if we do this and they're doing something at the time? No. Doesn't matter. Did that even come up? And then maybe it came up. I don't think so. Maybe it came up. That guy was sick that day. Yeah, please. It's all about making money. But do you guys believe? I don't care what we're doing. Do you guys believe that they said, we'll do it at 615? There was no objection to that? That we do it at the same time each time and there was no objection to it raised? Yeah. I believe that. Well, it's neither here nor there, Mike. I believe one guy said, yeah, but what if? And then the money guy goes, get out of here, Jimmy. We can get out of here. See, I do too. I think one person. See, because don't you think the meeting was between the GEICO people and salespeople?
I think it was a big board meeting. I don't believe any programming people were involved. I think they were drinking Starbucks. I think that it was a big sales meeting. I don't think Geico people were there. And I think they were coming up with ideas of how to serve Geico. I don't agree with that. You believe Geico was there. It was Geico's idea. They said, this is what we want to do. Nationwide, we want to... buy Clear Channel stations and have our commercials run at 15 after the hour because that's our slogan. And this is what we want to do. And then the Clear Channel people were like, oh, yeah, that's inventive and I like it. And then one guy, Jimmy, said, yeah, but what if the shows are doing something at the time? And then the guy was like, Jimmy, shut up. Get out of here. And they were like, no, we can do this, Geico. Let's go. You pay us gobs of money. See, I totally disagree. I think it was somebody at Clear Channel. That was like, I got the greatest idea ever. We are going to super serve our client. We're going to do this thing where we'll pitch it to them. It's going to cost them a little bit more, but we'll pitch it to them. At 15 minutes after every hour, we'll do that. That sounds like a salesy thing to me. And I don't think the Geico people are there in the insurance business. I don't think they have people that think that way. Yeah, they have a whole marketing department. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I think they came up with the idea.
Pitched it to Clear Channel and Clear Channel was like, hell yeah. And I don't think one salesperson said no. I don't think Jimmy said no. Jimmy said money, money, money. Really? Jimmy was bought out in gobs of money. That's how it comes nowadays. Gobs? Yeah. Man, does that get in the way of your thought flow? You know? And you start thinking about geckos. Yeah, how cute they are. I wish I had one that could talk. I think that part's cool. Oh, dude. I like the talking gecko and everything. Yeah, he's feisty. He reminds me of Jamie Oliver. The Geico guy? That's cool. The gecko? Yeah. He does? I like Jamie Oliver. I know. I don't know who that is. He's a cook on... He's a cook you never see on the Food Network because they put him on in the middle of the night where nobody sees him. Good for him. Yeah, because he's got a different sounding voice and Americans are like, that's different. I don't like different. Uncomfortable. Yeah. You guys hear about the counterfeit money in Chula Vista? What? Check this out. Sorry. Right, Sky?
Yeah, basically the Chula Vista police have issued a warning because they've really seen like an upswing in counterfeit money being passed in Chula Vista. So they say, you know, for obviously, you know, they're warning specifically people who work at stores because that's normally how counterfeit people do it. They'll bring in like a big bill and they'll, you know, with the $100 bill, they'll buy whatever, like a candy bar, you know, and then so and then they'll get all the change back. So they're warning people working at stores in Chula Vista, but really anybody in the area that's receiving a big bill, it doesn't hurt to check. But they're warning clerks, you know, be skeptical about people buying small items using big denominations. Also, beware of people who try and distract or kind of confuse you while you're handling the cash. Like they're trying to get in this conversation and keep eye contact. I think Jack can whistle better than you. If they whip out a baton and start flipping the baton. Check out my new shoes. I can tap dance. They're all good suggestions.
Yeah, if they do that, you should be careful. You should be really careful. Yeah, and of course, they say these counterfeit bills don't have the security strip going through it. So, you know, always hold the big bills up to the light and look for that little strip. Where's the strip? It's on the... It's in Vegas, right? Yeah. That's what I meant. Rob is right. Yeah. Thank you. I like the strip club. It's on one of the sides, like kind of towards the end on one of the sides running. Yeah, Sky, you are a money expert. Oh, wow, I love it. Money, money, money. I haven't seen this strip. Honestly, I don't... You haven't seen this strip? No, are you? You don't see when they go like this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just don't know about this strip. I love looking at money. I got a dollar bill from 1935. Okay. Is it on all bills, Sky? Big bills, like 20. Yeah, 20. You got 20 in there? No. I got singles. You're like at the script club. Yeah, exactly. Experiment over. I have $7. $7 more than me. That ain't going to cut it. And they ain't using singles. Well, next time you get a 20, check it out. All right. If it's got a guy with a top hat on it, it's not me. Yeah. It's got Rob's picture. Let me tell you something. We are planning some cool stuff.
For you. First of all, I want to tell you that a reenactment will be done of Eddie and the squirrel incident. Well, people were demanding it. Yeah. Oh, wow. The demand is there. As long as it's an accurate depiction of what happened, I'm fine with participating. It's based on the story that you told the other day. It's based on those facts. It should say reenactment. Should it say reenactment? Well, obviously. And at some point, maybe it can say, based on a true story. Well, it would need to be. It starts out that way, you know, based on a true story. Because then the viewers would be like, gosh, I wonder if this has really happened. Because it's so crazy, I can't hardly believe it. It's so crazy. I can't hardly believe it. I hope the stuntman is prepared for, you know, the dangerous act that happened. What do you mean the stuntman? Well, we hired a stuntman, right? Because, I mean, somebody's got to fly into a brick pillar. Well, someone with experience should do it. I was thinking. Somebody that has actually had the experience. Go ahead, Rob. How are we going to recreate Miller Ave? I know. That's tough. There's a lot of mistletoe trees.
That's right. Running up and down. Mistletoe trees? Mistletoe trees, yeah. Is that where the squirrels hide? Yeah, the street was lined with mistletoe. The actual mistletoe trees. Romantic. But no, the story we're talking about is when Eddie was a kid, he borrowed his sister's 10 speed to go to 7-Eleven to get a comic book on the way. He ran into a squirrel. Kamikaze. Kamikaze. Squirrel, Eddie calls it. And the kamikaze squirrel was headed right towards him on the bike. We were playing chickens. Staring him down. He's coming right for me. Yeah, and Eddie says that this squirrel was not going to stop. Rabid. Wow. Rabid. That is crazy. And so Eddie says that he veered to the right. The right, by the way, is where traffic was. That was the street. Which we know. Everybody knows. Everybody knows. One of the busier streets in Gilroy. Gilroy, California, by the way. Everybody knows. Everybody knows. And so Eddie then hit a brick sort of pylon. Pillar, yeah. Pillar. And he wrecked in the street. Says he was lying in a pool of his own blood. Face down or face up? I was face up. Oh, okay. Face up. Yeah. Laying towards the light. Laying on his back. I did see the light, Rob. That's right. That is a lie. I did. You don't know. I came back to us. It was like a tunnel with light at the end of it. Oh, man. And...
And then, which is really kind of the worst part of the story, he goes home and his sister is angry. Yeah. She yelled at me. You know, because he borrowed her bike and he crashed with it. And so, you know, kind of overlooking the fact that he practically died. Yeah, it was a bloody mess. It was a bloody mess. And one leg at home. Yeah. So what we're going to do is we're going to do a videotape reenactment. Yeah. Of Eddie and the Squirrel. That is awesome. And we're going to post the footage at MikeyShow.com. We'll see. For people to be able to see it. I think I have final say. You're directing, right? Well, I'm the star. He's the star. Doesn't the producer and director? I don't know. We'll talk. Are there going to be craft services there? I hope so. Ooh, delish. Rob is going to be the squirrel.
Well, that makes sense. Yeah, obviously. With a thing on his chin. Yeah. That thing's awesome. Yeah, the costume's half done. Let me tell you, I can't wait. And MikeyShow.com is just blowing up with stuff for you to look at. Yeah. There's lots of goodies. A lot of video on there. There's a lot of video on there of, well, we got the Mikey Minute where I come on video every day and tell you about... what happened on that day's show. And then right after that, you can watch the... Ashley After Show. Ashley After Show, which is Ashley interviewing whoever was a guest on the show that day. And if there was no guest in the studio, then she will talk to one of us about what happened. I heard yesterday's was delightful. Oh, that's great. Fantastic. She talked to Taylor Hicks, the guy that won season five of American Idol because he was in the studio. And don't forget, and there's a link to learn all about it, but... Fast and Furious, Loud and Proud. We're doing this next Wednesday here at the radio station. If you have a loud car, you got a cool exhaust, you got a cool looking ride, all we want you to do is bring that thing down here. And we're going to judge you on engine sound, appearance, and Mikey Show flair. So how well do you promote the Mikey Show with your car? And the person that does the best is going to be taken by limo.
Bye, Limo. From Avalon Transportation and Levery Services up to Los Angeles to the Gibson Theater to see the premiere. The L.A. premiere. With all the stars. With all the stars. The L.A. Like, I've never experienced that in my life. I've never walked on a red carpet. Oh, wait, wait, wait. That is untrue. When I was 12 years old. This is going to be weird. Whatever it is, it's going to be weird. It's weird, Skye. What's up? When I was 12 years old, my brother worked for a radio station in Los Angeles and took me to the Hollywood premiere of the movie Six Packs starring Kenny Rogers. Oh, my. Wow. Six Packs? I don't even know what that is. Kenny Rogers. Never heard of it. I've never heard of it. Kenny Rogers played a NASCAR race driver. Oh. I went to the premiere of that and thought it was thoroughly exciting. That's huge. That's a great movie. That's right. It's a fantastic film. Really looked over at the Oscars. And so, anyway, you'll win that. And then we're going to give you tickets to the after party with the cast. The cast will be there. Sweet. And then the runners-up, they're going to get tickets to...
This radio station's premiere of the movie that's going to happen here in San Diego at Edwards Mira Mesa, March 31st. Nice. So very cool. And that's going on next Wednesday. So hopefully you will take part in that killer show for you today. Killer, killer show for you today. Michael Jackson, by the way, is going to make an announcement this morning. Oh, man. It's going to be nuts. In London. For real. In London? In London. Weird. Yeah, I know. So we'll be hearing all about that. This is going to be interesting. We're going to find out what we all have prioritized on our TiVos. I have a DVR mic. I don't want to sound like an elitist. I'm not rich enough to have a TiVo. I wish I had a TiVo. Oh, man. One can dream. That's right. So we're going to do that. And how about a little tone-deaf karaoke? Plus just audio, really cool audio. By the way, there was a home invasion.
Sadly, there was a sexual assault at this home invasion, and it happened yesterday. I'll tell you where this occurred in San Diego County when we come back. Nick DiPaolo in the stand-up spotlight. Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Now with a little info, this is the Mikey Show 360. 360 is what's happening in your world. What's going on out there? What are people talking about? One of the things that you're going to be hearing people talk about today is this home invasion that happened in San Diego County yesterday. What was it, Skye? Well, it happened in Carmel Valley yesterday. It was about 12.30 in the afternoon, and a man with a knife... went into a woman's garage when she was in there and then forced her into the home. He then bound her and sexually assaulted her and ended up slashing her arm before taking off with her purse. So this happened on Carmel View Road.
1230 yesterday the guy is described as a five foot seven latino man he appeared to be in his 30s he was wearing dark colored clothing gloves a baseball cap and sunglasses now a similar crime was kind of attempted in that same general area last month where a guy you know went into a garage when a woman had pulled in but he ended up getting scared away when he couldn't shut her home alarm system off So police have said that they plan to increase patrols in that area because now they believe this is the second of this nature in that Carmel Valley area. Well, if you live in that area, it's a good reason to be turning that alarm on and making sure that you're not forgetting to have that alarm on. And I'm glad that they're putting more people in there, man. That's a terrible thing. I got some percentages for you. I'm going to give you some percentages. Okay. And you tell me what you think this is. Let's see. Percentage of spouses that don't know how much money their husband or wife makes. Oh, gosh. Whoa. That's weird. Percentage of spouses that do not know how much money their husband or wife makes. Ash. 10%.
I think it may surprise us that it's a little bit higher. Really? I'm going to say it's like 22%. Oh, my gosh. Sky. Okay, now Eddie's got it in my head. Oh, no. I was going to say 10%, but then Ashley took that, and then Eddie threw a wrench and everything. I'm going to say, no, I'm going 5%. Oh, ridiculous. That's too crazy. That's too crazy. 5%, Mike. Rob, percentage of spouses. that do not know how much money their husband or wife makes. 44%. You are a nutbag. Okay. How does a spouse not know what their husband or their wife makes? They just never asked. They just never asked. I mean, that clearly has to be the answer. If you don't know how much your spouse makes, call me right now. 570-1053.
Because, and nobody's going to beat you up, obviously. I just want to know. Yeah. And see how we're going. Maybe the simple truth, I just don't ask. Boston Rob. Shut up. Is correct. I'd like to dedicate this win to Eddie. Thank you. Exactly 44%. No, no, no. He was the closest. Because the truth of the matter is, according to cosmopolitan.com, 70% of spouses do not know. how much money their husband or wife makes. 70%. 70%. That is a faulty stat. I don't buy that. See, I would think so too, but then what I realize is I'm applying too much of my own stuff to the thinking. In my world, there's no way. I don't know one person in my world that doesn't know how much their spouse makes. Well, I don't talk to people and go, do you know how much your husband or wife makes? I do.
Hey, nice to meet you. Are you paying your Sky Tax? What does that even mean? How are you living in such squalor? Oh, wow. There are people calling. Our phone lines are blowing up with people calling to say this. Let's see. P1 Legal. Hey, how you doing? I'm doing good. I don't know how much my girl makes. She doesn't know how much I make. Now, is this your wife? Yeah. This is your wife. Not your girlfriend, your wife. No, my woman, my wife. Wow. You don't know how much she makes at work? No, because I really don't think she makes a lot, but she's happy in her career, and I own my own business. My income fluctuates every month. Now, this is the reason that I'm curious how you don't know, because eventually tax time comes around. Right. And you do taxes, and so how do you not know just based on that? I've got a great tax girl. I just give her my folder and my wife's folder, and I don't even look. She submits the paper. We write her a check. It goes away. Question. Wow. Question. Yeah. Do you do this sort of purposefully? Like, do you purposefully not want to know what she makes, or do you just not know what she makes?
Actually, it's not intentional, but it doesn't matter. I know she doesn't make a lot of money, and I provide a really good life for her. She gets whatever she wants. I mean, we both. We have a very comfortable life. And like I said, I own my own business, so money's great. And I know that she doesn't make a ton of money, and she's happy. The money she makes, she can spend it. She can save it. She can do whatever she wants. But, yeah, it's not an issue. She could quit tomorrow. I really don't care. Wow. Hey, listen, P1 Legal, I appreciate it. Thanks for the call. That's kind of a unique situation. Most of us aren't in a place where we have a tax person that we give all the info to and we don't touch it and we don't have any say with it. They just take care of it. Or doing so well that you just don't care. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, God bless you, brother. P1 Tom? Yeah, how you doing? Good, dude. I've been with my woman for 21 years, been married to her for over seven years, going on eight. And I don't know how much she makes as of today. How do you not know? Well, I work as a subcontractor for a utility company. I've been doing that for the last 17 years. So my income pays for all the mortgage, car insurance, everything. And she pays for groceries.
What my daughter needs. Wow. And to that end, you don't ask her what she makes. No, I've asked her a few times, and now she's even got a promotion to a supervisor in her position. And I still don't know what she makes. When you ask her, what does she say? She just says, I make... enough to get this stuff taken care of wow that's now now wait a minute now to me that means that it has in effect it has become a secret for her i guess because she's like a shopaholic and all the money that she makes she still even uses credit cards and i still have to pay the credit card bills that she uses right yeah so uh this is interesting there's kind of a pattern here this is like we're kind of seeing that the couples that don't know, at least based on these two calls, is when the women have their own jobs and the money they make from their jobs are just for themselves and not for the household expenses. And in that case, it almost sounds like, especially in this guy's case, it's secretive because she doesn't want him to know how much money she's really blowing every month. You know what I mean? And that's different. And when you do your taxes, Tom, how do you do your taxes so that...
Since you're married, how do you do your taxes or do you not have anything to do with the taxes? Well, her father-in-law does her taxes and whenever the taxes... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Her father-in-law would be your father. Father-in-law. Your father-in-law. Right. Her dad does your taxes. Right. They're doing our taxes. Interesting. And here's the funny part, you know, I pay the property tax and everything, and then all of a sudden when taxes come back, she wants her half. What? Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I bet. Wow. And when you guys were asking the percentage, I was sitting there and I said, 60%, because I don't know, there's got to be plenty of guys like me. Oh, I bet there is. I guess there is. You know? Hey, thanks for the call. Uh, now this is just my family, you know, but, uh, in my family, my wife and I are, um, you know, we're like a team. And so in all the decisions that have to do with money, you know, we, I know what's up. She knows what's, we both know everything. And so we make decisions as a team and, uh, you know, we do the taxes sitting next to each other on speakerphone. That's how we do our taxes.
And as the questions come up from the tax guy, we'll kind of look at each other and go, do you remember this or da-da-da-da-da? And that's how it's done. But that's really interesting. Dude, I would not have expected this. Never. P1 Big John is on the line. Big John, are you there? Yes, how's it going, Mike? Good, dude. I'm in the military, and my base is pretty steady for the most part. But my wife, she doesn't work right now, but when she worked, I knew exactly how much she made and everything because she gave me her paychecks and we dealt with it with the house stuff and her extra money. But she really has no clue how much I make. I give her kind of her allowance for the month to spend what she needs to spend and do what she needs to do. But she doesn't ask questions. She doesn't want to know. I deal with the finances and she's happy. Wow. Jeez. Wow, man. That is fascinating. Wow. I would not have really... I wouldn't have thought this stuff. I don't know. I guessed 5%. I mean, what the heck? You were wild. I was the worst out of everybody, Eddie. Save that clip. Okay. You've got to save that clip. No, we don't need that. Let's see. Dang. Rob, what percentage of people have tried to break a cement block at least once in their lifetime?
How many times have I done it? Tuck him with our hands? Yeah. I don't know. Just tried to break a cement block. Oh, just in general? Yeah. 82%. Sky? I'm going to say 75%. Eddie? I think it's a lot. I'm going to say 83%. Wow, Eddie. That's quite a guess. I'm hoping you win. I bet Eddie will get it. Ashley? Yeah, I think it's really up there, too. So I'll say... 81%. Come on, 82 on the dot. Come on. Sky is the closest. That was going to be discussed, so I'm glad I helped you, Sky. What? The answer is 5% of people. Well, it depends. The question is weird. And that must be with their hands. It has to be. It has to be. I was thinking just throwing one, taking a hammer to one. Yeah. Well, how have you guys traveled?
My head. Yeah, my head. Sledgehammer. Karate kicks. Yeah. Has anybody on our show tried to break a cement block? Absolutely. Eddie, you have? Yeah. How did you do it? Well, I mean, it depends. I don't think I've ever tried to do it with a karate style, but I've done it with sledgehammers and stuff like that. Just for fun? No, well, probably. That would be fun. Yeah. Doing a demo? Yeah. Taking a sledgehammer? Guys love... To break stuff? Absolutely. We just really do. And burn stuff. Yeah, unfortunately. I had a couple demo projects that I did when I was working construction. At my house? No. Not at your house. Yeah. And after we kind of, you know, you kind of go through and you rip stuff out and then you kind of demo down the walls. And after we were done, I was still taking the sledgehammer to just random stuff. Sure. You're kind of looking for things that you can start busting up. You know what I mean? It's great fun. That's cool. That's weird. That is odd. Ten people won $216 million. Ten people won $216 million in the Mega Millions. The Mega Millions, by the way, is available here in California. We can buy a ticket.
And I'll tell you who these people were and where they were from. And I wonder, when I tell you what they do for a living, will that matter to you or will it not? Cowboys cut T.O. Unbelievable. You feeling that one? That's what I'm saying. Brings you back to what, Rob? I don't know. That Lou Graham, that lead singer of Foreigner. Nobody rocked a white guy afro with a striped muscle shirt quite like Lou Graham did. He's the best. Striped? That's right. Sounds like Al. That's right. Dude, that sounds like your brother Al. Dude, he's got a fro right now, and he wears white striped muscle shirts. Does he really? That's the best. That guy is the best. He changed his Facebook picture, but the old Facebook picture was, I don't know if it was him, I don't know what it was, but it was a guy from the back wearing a jock.
One of the funniest things. Was it him? I thought it was him. It's one of the most. I said to my wife, I had my laptop. I go, I'm about to show you something. Oh, you have to see. I have the laptop. And I go, I'm about to show you something. And I said, what I'm going to show you in nature is inappropriate. However, I said to her, I defy you to not laugh. I defy you. And she looked at it. It took a second and she went... She couldn't help it. She couldn't help it. And she said, is that Al? I said, I think so. When he was a little. When he was what? Little. When he was little? Yeah. That was him when he was like 10. Oh, see, I thought he was like 27 in that picture. Weird. God. Which makes it even weirder. 10 people won $216 million in the Mega Millions. Jealous. 216. Yeah. Skye, do you have oatmeal? It smells good. That's mine. Oh, that smells good. Thank you. I put protein mix and brown sugar in it. Gross. What? It smells great. Yummy. Anyway. Skye ball. It's getting huge.
Yeah, so 10 co-workers in New Jersey will split the $216 million Mega Millions jackpot from Tuesday night. It's six men and four women. They all work for the IT division of an insurance company there. Okay, okay. See, I read insurance company. I was thinking to myself, is this an insurance? Bailout. Yeah, I was thinking bailout, but okay. So they were in the IT department. The IT department, yeah. And I guess they've been buying... Yeah, greetings. They've been buying tickets together for years. They each pitch in five bucks, which allows them to buy 50 quick picks for every drawing. And they hit. And so the 10 of them will split the $216 million. All right. So we're talking about about $100 million, a little over $100 million in cold hard cash once the taxes are taken out of it, right? They say here a one-time payout of $140 million. $140 million. Nice. That's not bad, man. 14 mil a person, and then you probably get seven after, you know, whatever taxes. No, no, no, no. It's already taxed. That's already taxes taken out. That's cold, hard cash. So you got 14 mil each? In cash. Woo-hoo! Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, 14 mil cash. Drop down the highway, throwing it out the windows.
Why would you throw it out the window? Because I have so much of it. That's right, Sky. You burn money to keep warm. Have you guys ever heard that? I burn hundreds to stay warm. Whoa, Sky. That's a lot of dough. Okay, whatever. With the top sports stories of the day, it's the Sports Dirt with Eddie. Well, we told you a little bit earlier, T.O. is done in Big D. Terrell Owens, cut. By the Dallas Cowboys. I can't believe it, man. Absolutely crazy, man. So we've got to be really interested to find out where he ends up. I've got a question for you. Okay, so it doesn't matter what the team is. It doesn't matter what the team is. Let's say there's a team that says, we want to give this a shot. Okay, if you say you want to give T.O. a shot and bring him in, do you go about it the following way? You pull your team aside. And you mentioned to them that this, because, you know, obviously you got to worry about, do you pull your quarterback aside and you say, this is what we're thinking? Or do you just pull the trigger and hope for the best? I think it depends on the team. One of the things that I was thinking of is, you know, Bill Parcells worked with Terrell Owens. Bill Parcells runs the Miami Dolphins. Sure, they need a wide receiver. And I could really easily see Terrell Owens ending up in Miami.
which, you know, is a big market and, you know, somewhere where probably T.O. would like to live. I don't see Bo Parcells caring what his team thinks. He'll just do it and be like, deal with it. Wow. You know, so I guess maybe it depends on where, like, and like Al Davis. I mean, that guy, he's not going to pull his team aside. You know, but there are probably some places where they would need to do something like that. Sure. So it should be interesting to find out where T.O. ends up. The Arizona Cardinals and Kurt Warner have agreed to a two-year, $23 million deal with $19 million of that guaranteed. Oh, fuck. Oh, my. That's better than hitting the Mega Millions. Yeah, it is. Yes, it is. And so, you know, I guess that little trip to San Francisco made Arizona say, all right, we'll give you your money. We're sorry. That is gnarly, man. Here's Kurt talking about the deal. Well, I mean, I think the biggest thing was, you know, after the trip to San Francisco, I really realized. This was the place for me. We were close in a lot of things. We were close in figures. The structure was a little bit different. It was at that point that Mark and I tried to get creative and figure out what was going to work for us and took it to the Cardinals. They rehashed it a few times and worked out the final details so that it was a contract that was good for me, but also good for the Cardinals and us as an organization moving forward. If you don't know anything about that community, my brother lives there.
Phoenix is a pretty cool place. When people think Arizona, I think you might have a preconceived notion that it's kind of hick and sort of western town or something. I don't know. But I can tell you that Phoenix is a lot like a Los Angeles out in the middle of the desert. It's a big, big city. And they love them there, man. They really love themselves some Kurt Warner out there. And so just from that... I think he made kind of a wise decision. He goes to a city that loves him, and maybe he can start a business there. He's got the ultimate weapon. Yeah. I mean, when you have Larry Fitzgerald. Oh, no, wait. You meant. I meant on the field. Yeah, when you have Larry Fitzgerald, like, I want to be thrown to that guy. I want to be the guy that's thrown to Larry Fitzgerald. So, yeah. My question to you and to the P1s is, does this mean that Arizona, are the number one contenders in the NFC? Man, dude. Oh, wow. Please. That's a great question. They were the Super Bowl contingency from the NFC. Yeah. Are they the best team in the NFC right now? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Well, we know how it actually feels. Eddie, Larry Fitzgerald is for sure, right? Like, he's tied up in a contract. I love him. See, the only thing that I'm worried about with Larry Fitzgerald is upstairs. And what I mean by that is... He's fine, Mike.
Is he? Yeah, I talked to him. You did? No, he's all good. Because remember, he was upset about the Super Bowl. He's cool, dude. He was upset about the Super Bowl. No, I know he was upset. He felt like they ignored him. Listen, the guy is miraculous, and he bounces back real quick. And you think he's all good? Yeah, he's fine. He's good to go? Yeah. Okay, cool. Yeah, absolutely. The question marks that I have for Arizona is, number one, the running back position. Question mark. Edron James does not want to be back. Yeah. He's asked for his release. Yeah. He doesn't want to play in Arizona. So if they do release Edron James, are they going with Tim Hightower? Is he good enough? I don't know. I don't think so. Anquan Bolden, that's a huge, huge question mark. Is he going to be back? He has to come back for them to be a legitimate contender. Yeah. If he leaves, then they're not a legitimate contender. Why 50 count? I think that with Anquan Bolden, he takes a lot of pressure off of Fitzgerald. Because, I mean, you've got to cover both of those guys. Okay. Because they're so good. They're both good. So I don't think they're quite the best in the NFC. I think that the Giants are still better and a couple other teams may be still better. But, you know, it's an interesting thought. So we'll see. There's a guy that's very, very passionate with an answer here, Eddie. P1 Marcus, are you there? What's up, Mikey? What do you think, Marcus?
Well, as, you know, you guys are a resident Cardinals fan, and as a Cardinals fan, I still don't think they are the number one team in NFC. You know, we were 9-7 in the season. We were getting smoked out by teams, you know, the Patriots, not even with the number one quarterback. And we had, I think, a 3 or 7 record or something in the NFC. So even after going to the Super Bowl, have a dominating performance, I still don't think we're the number one team in the NBA. Hey, Marcus. Yeah. You live here in San Diego, right? Yeah. But you, I'm guessing, have been a Cardinals fan for a little while? Yeah, for about three years. Would you agree with this? I want to ask you what you think and see what people think about this. I wonder if the Cardinals... Fan psychology is a little bit similar to the San Diego Charger fan psychology. And what I mean by that is you love your team. You just love them. And sometimes they just break your heart. Is that the deal? Well, in the Super Bowl, I was so sad that they lost. But, I mean, it's not that they lost. They didn't put up the numbers. They were putting it up all season.
Kurt Warner had three touchdowns, 300 yards. Larry Fitzgerald does what he does. We played a great game. It's just the defense lost it for us, and our defense was a struggle the entire season. I was sad, but we gave a great effort. Yeah. A for effort. Thanks, brother. I appreciate the phone call. Eddie, you were so strong in your opinion about the Padres a couple of weeks ago. What do you think about San Diego Chargers? What is your thoughts on this team going into 09? I think that they still got a lot of things they need to get done. I mean, there's a big question mark, obviously, until this LT situation gets taken care of. And when's that going to happen? Like, is there a deadline? No. I mean, they have to figure it out, I think, before the draft. Draft is in the last part of April. If they don't, you know. If they don't fix this situation, whether they release him or restructure his contract, what are you going to do going into the draft? That's a big question mark. So they've got to take care of that. I think they have a couple of holes they still need to fill up. Safety position, the right guard position, a couple of things. So I think they're going to be really good. I think they have a couple of things they've got to take care of, but I think this is a really loaded football team. What?
is a reasonable expectation for them as a fan. I can't answer that until this LT thing gets done. If LT stays, a reasonable expectation is a Super Bowl trip, at least. I agree, man. I really do. With Sean Merriman coming back, it's like adding one of the best defensive players to the team that was a playoff team last year. Let's say you take him out of the equation. LT. What would your... reasonable expectation as a Charger fan be? Difficult. I think a reasonable would probably be AFC West Championship, which means a playoff run. Pick a, right? But other than that, I don't know. I'm excited. A little nervous. I'll put all that in there, you know what I mean? Playoffs! The other big signing in the NFL yesterday were the Ravens and Ray Lewis. They agreed to a three-year extension, so he will stay in the club. Oh, yes. Head of the defense. Yes. That is true. He's so good. She knows a couple of names. Dude, when he pumps them up at the beginning of the game, I get pumped up. I get pumped up. You know what I'm saying? It'd be so good. Because she knows that name. A rubble like this. Manny will be Manny.
In Hollywood. Really? The Dodgers and Manny Ramirez agree on a two-year deal for the $45 million. Are you serious? $45 million for two years. But I thought that he was laughing at that before and now. I think Manny realized nobody else is making any offers. So I better accept what I got. Here's Joe Torre on Manny being back. I think it was a matter of. You know, we all wanted the same thing. I think that's what seemed to be apparent to me. You know, Manny certainly was comfortable here. And, you know, after last year and the time he spent with us, you know, we knew we wanted him back. It was just a matter of being able to find that common ground. Which is what, Joe? He is something else, man. Oh, wow. And then real quick, the UFC announced their giant card for UFC 98. What's up? Huge double main event. Give it to me. The first one is the long-anticipated fight between Matt Hughes and Matt Serra will finally take place. Oh, like it. And then the big main event for the heavyweight championship, Brock Lesnar versus Frank Mir to determine who will be the heavyweight champion. Wow. Dude, dude. That's pretty big, right? It's enormous. We've been waiting for that. What are your thoughts on that? I already said it.
Eddie just said it. Is Frank Muir going to get his face smashed in, or do you think he stands a chance? Let's remember. They fought before, and Frank Muir beat Brock Lesnar. He got him in a leg lock and made him tap out. If you had to put money down in Vegas today, Eddie, what would you bet on? I would put all my money on Brock Lesnar. Wow. That's what I'm thinking. Every cent that I own. Wow. That's quite a bet, Eddie. I would. Let's take a road trip. He's going to get his face smashed in. I would think so. That is fantastic. That would be a good one. That's in May. How are we doing on time? We got to go. Well, if that's the case, then I got to hear Stacy's mom has got it going on. Obviously. You know what I'm saying? Well, here's the deal. Michael Jackson is going to be making a big announcement. It's so weird you're saying that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sky figured it out, and she says that, you know, he's in London, right? Yeah. And so our time sometime in the 8 o'clock hour. He's going to be making this big announcement. And we'll tell you what people are saying about it coming up next. What do they think this announcement is going to be? You know, we'll tell you all about it next.

You got shows the best there is. There's nothing better in San Diego. K-I-O-C. San Diego's rock. Five, three. The Mikey Show continues. Featuring Mikey. I love documentaries. Eddie. I like to do what I like to do. I don't care really how I look anymore. I'm just like, whatever. Sky. I love award shows. I love the OC. I love 90210. You know, so when it comes to pop culture, it's my like one. Last bit of you. Boston Rob. I'm the ultimate recycling machine. It's pretty garbage disposal. It's true. Thank you. And Ashley. I support, but everywhere I go. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Is that Foo? That's good. From Engineering? Yeah. That's him singing? That's awesome. Dave Grohl. One of the prolific and best songwriters of our time. I agree with that statement. Wow.
Now I know what prolific means. And I also think that in a way, in a way, he's underrated because a lot of people don't even realize what he's capable of. Absolutely. I mean, how do you go from being the drummer from one of the greatest bands of all time where you're kind of nothing in the band? I mean, you're a cool drummer, but nobody knows who you are really. Yeah, big time. to the lead singer and frontman for another one of the greatest rock bands of this time. I mean, that's crazy. And it's good, too, man. And he doesn't even play drums. And the spectrum of the stuff that he does with Foo Fighters, from their acoustic releases to, you know, the hardest spectrum. Look at you. I know. Who are you? I don't know who this is. That's a big one. Welcome back to the show. It's 7.20, and so when we went to break, I told you that Michael Jackson's going to be making this big announcement. Yeah. This is weird. Everything he does is weird, so I don't know why I'm really surprised. What is the speculation that this is going to be? Well, the speculation, because the announcement is scheduled to be made at London's O2 Arena.
Which, you know, is an interesting place to make an announcement. So the speculation is that Michael Jackson is going to be doing a series of concerts there in London at the O2 Arena. And people are saying, I was just reading like a couple minutes ago, that people claim they've seen sneak peeks of the posters to promote the concerts. And that Michael will allegedly be doing 10 live dates. Allegedly. In London at the O2 Arena. But that'll be it. like just at the London O2 Arena, you know, not touring, just 10 live dates back-to-back, bringing in some cash, and that'll be it for 2009. But he's scheduled to make the announcement at 4 p.m. GMT time. I don't know what, Geneva? General Mountain? No. George St. Pierre. George St. Pierre time. George Michael time. Yeah, that's what it is. So all bathrooms are. I believe that's 8 a.m. our time. So we should find out soon what this official announcement is. Can I tell you for reals what it is? Oh, no. Oh, Michael. Here we go. Oh, wow. What do you mean? For reals, guys, I want to tell you what it is. What your announcement is? Big announcement. Okay, what is it, Michael? Well, I was sitting in a bathtub with my.
My pet sea otter, Dr. Phineas Whatchamacallit. Wait. Wait. Stop. I'll stop. You were in a bathtub. Yes. With your pet sea otter. That's cool. Yes. Dr. Phineas Whatchamacallit. So is that his name or do you actually not know the last part of his name? I don't know what his last name is. I just say Whatchamacallit. Okay. All right. Continue. Okay. Well, he told me, Eddie, that... When we were in the bath? Yes. He told me that my air bubbles were making him sleepy. Your air bubbles. That's gross, bro. That is gross, okay? Gross, yeah. Yeah, unless you have a jacuzzi tub, that is gross. Okay. Good. So I came up with a new energy drink called bathtub bubbles. That's great. I'm sleepy. It does. Well, I don't understand. It makes you sleepy and it gives you energy to laugh and splash. That's a little stupid. This is what your announcement is, Michael. You guys think that's great? No. I do not, and I would go nowhere near that. Also, concerning my announcement. Yeah.
My manager, Han Solo, is making me do it. Han Solo is not your manager. He is my manager, and he's making me do it. He wears a black vest. You know who he is? Yes, I know who Han Solo is. And I want to announce something else, too. Okay, what else? How about that? I'm going to marry Katie Holmes. First of all, Katie Holmes is married, Michael. You've done this before. I'm going to marry Katie Holmes. No, you're not. How about that I found the pot of gold. I found a pot of gold. You did? Yes, but instead of gold, there was only calamari in the pot. It's not a pot of gold, Michael. Congratulations. You're so lucky, Michael. By the way, these are all better announcements than the real one. You know what? They're actually all better announcements. That is true. Okay, another announcement time. You ready? Yes. Here ye, here ye. Very official. Come forth all of San Diego. All right. The rumors stand correct. I will be putting on a concert.
Starring Mr. Ribs. What is that? Who is Mr. Ribs? My inflatable puppet. And the tickets will be paid in sweets or Disney figurines. Terrible. No. Also, I'm proud to announce that I am the real father of the octuplets. That's not true. Michael, that is not true. You can't jump on stories like that. No, it isn't. It's true. No, it isn't. I took the Octawom on a ride on my magical flying zebra named Flying Zebra. Clever. Whenever someone rides flying zebra, they get pregnant. It's true. With eight babies. With eight kids. Really? Yeah. And I named all the kids, too. What do you name them? I named them after my favorite fruits. Oh, really? So their names are?
Pineapple. Uh-huh. Cantaloupe. Uh-huh. Lance Bass. Hey. Hey. Kiwi. Uh-huh. Richard Simmons. Uh-huh. And then the other things are named after things that I like. Oh. Uh-oh. Let's see. Belly Flop. Emmanuel Lewis. Starfish. And Twitter. Twitter? You're so weird, Michael Jackson. Okay, ready for another announcement? Yes. Here we go. The other announcement that I have is that I am re-releasing the song that you're listening to right now. Oh, wow. I'm re-releasing Rock With You. That's awesome. That's a good one. All right. And I changed one of the lyrics in the song to make the song flow better. What did you change it to? I changed the word rock with you to fart with you. That doesn't make sense. I don't care for that. And so now in the song, every time it says rock, I replace it with fart. That's very juvenile. So you're going to fart the night away? It's not until you give it a try and you listen to it before you're just a hater before you even listen to it. You're right, Michael. I'm going to fart with you all night. It's you in the sunlight.
I wanna fight with you. Stop that. All night we're gonna fight. No, you're not. Do you feel the boogie? I do. I do not. That's good, man. Yeah, get into it. It's gross. Did I tell you guys that I had plans to make this announcement, but then things changed at the last minute? No, I didn't hear this. I had this other plan to make this other announcement, and then right at the end, I was like, oh, I can't do that announcement anymore. Why not? I was going to announce to the world that I was going to be the new lead singer for this band called Metallica. No, you weren't. I lost your mind. That's stupid. But then their drummer Jars kept driving me crazy. His name's Lars. No, no, no, he's right. What is it? It's Lars with an L.
Because I saw that and I was like, well, that can't be somebody's name. But I know what a jars is. That's not somebody's name. But I don't want to be in a band because he said that he wanted everybody to whittle their costumes out of wood. And I told him that you can't. I can't attach rhinestones to wood. Don't cry, Michael. It's okay. It's okay, buddy. You don't have to do it. And then we started fighting. And so I changed my body. Okay, bro. You're all right. One more announcement plan. I want everybody to know that I plan to buy Eli Manning. First of all, I don't know why you would want that. Because I think he's so cute. No, you don't. I want to buy him. And I want to... play catch with him all day long. Really? And I want to wear a Giants uniform. Why? Because they're cute. No, Michael. You realize he's an adult. And then also I want to buy Ashton Kutcher so that I can hide from him and then he can find me and punk me and then take pictures of me with his Nikon camera. That'd be awesome. This is the Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts.

The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Now, stuff you need to know. This is the Mikey Show 360. Mikey Show 360. Idea. What's happening in our world? What are people talking about? One of the things that people are talking about, which I think is kind of funny, because we discussed this at length the other day, is the fact that The Bachelor was on CNN Made News. It was like it was a news story what happened on this TV show, The Bachelor. If you don't know what it is, a guy goes into a house with 25 beautiful young women and he tries to pick one of them as a mate. And the reason that it made news is because dude picked a woman and then he broke up with her on national television and told her he made a mistake and he should have chose this other girl.
Jerk. Well, then what started to become news was whether or not it was all phony. Yeah. And that it was created by producers. Because it was very dramatic. Very dramatic. The most dramatic rose ceremony yet. Oh, my gosh. I feel very foolish. You do, Eddie? Yeah, because when we talked about it, I hadn't seen it yet. But I was very excited when I heard all the stuff and really got into it. And then I watched it. And I'm like, I'm an idiot. Really? Yeah. It was 100% set up. And bravo to the producers because they basically just go, all right, what haven't we seen? What haven't we done on The Bachelor? Oh, I know. We'll have him break up with the girl he chose and choose the other girl. Really? Which is, you know, duh. Like, shame on me for not recognizing that. But it was, I mean, it was apparent to you when you watched it. 100% set up. Well, they got us when we hadn't seen it. They got us. It's a great idea. Yeah. But the, I guess, acting on the people's parts, not very good. Not very good. My wife was desperately trying to get a hold of us the other day. And then we went to break because we were talking about this. And she had seen it. Honey, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. And so she says to me yesterday, can we talk?
Just for a second about The Bachelor? Just for a second. Right, babe? Oh, I'm never watching it again. Well, first of all, that's a lie, Rebecca. I know. That is 100% a lie. It's a lie. But I was so, like, I almost threw my remote at the TV. I'm like, this is ridiculous. It's so fake. Yeah, it was. I mean, how obvious was Molly with the whole blinking, eyes blinking? Really? I had always hoped for that. There was no tip-off to the girls when there was no audience there? Yeah. Like, really? Not to mention, like, how about when, you know, at the final rose ceremony, she kept saying, I think you're making a mistake. I think you're making a mistake. I think you're making a mistake. And, wow, what do you know? You made a mistake. I think I made a mistake. And they fly Deanna. I have a way to New Zealand to just give advice. Like, really? What's so ridiculous about that, too, was that they frame it like, you know, I made a mistake and I'd like to have another chance. And he says, no. And she goes, okay, so let me give you some advice. Right. It's so brutal. It's so dumb.
I'm like, do you think I'm an idiot? We're going to fly you halfway across the world to give advice. Ridiculous. Eh, hon, you've got to listen on the radio because we're going to play these clips of this chick from Access Hollywood basically just laying into Chris Harrison, the host of the show, and just demanding answers from him and not holding back. Oh, wow. All right. All right, babe. Take a listen to this. This was on Billy Bush's radio show. All right. And apparently you got the correspondent, Laura Saltman, sitting in the same radio studio as Chris Harrison. And this is what happens. I know that things are not as they seem. And I know as a company guy, you have to be nice. You can't just throw something like that out. Do you really want to get into that, Chris? Because we will get into it. Gloves off. Bachelor host Chris Harrison and AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman debated in Billy's radio studio the involvement of the show's producers in the outcome. The producers will say, don't say it this way, say it that way. If you don't do this, I won't give you alone time with The Bachelor, whoever it may be, Jason. Let me tell you what's manipulated and what is created. I don't think you can just make the leap of it's incredibly manipulated, but I will say this. It's not a documentary.
We don't shoot 48 minutes of tape. Stop and put it in a machine and press play. Chris admits that producers did encourage Jason to explore the other women because he seemed only interested in Melissa from the start. And if we allowed that just to happen, it would have been a pretty shallow, pretty weak show. Everyone's like, well, why am I just watching two people date? Laura pressed on, asking what most of us are thinking after getting off the phone with the show's creator. But he just admitted on this conference call... that many of The Bachelors have broken up with them before the finale aired, behind the scenes. So why couldn't Jason have just done that? That's a great point. Let me tell you, if I were a producer in Hollywood, I would say to everybody, this has gone on for so long, the whole producers telling people what to do. If we really want to be innovative and different, We go back to what it used to be when it very first came on, reality TV, and we actually show the real stuff. At this point, that will be compelling. Sure. I agree. See, if they had shown him really just liking one girl, there's a story there. What do the other chicks think of the fact that he's basically made his choice already? Yeah, because that gal would be ostracized. Yeah. And at that point...
Play up the fact that the women are sitting there going, what are we even doing here? Yeah, what's the point? What's the point of this? And you make a show out of that. But instead, they're contriving and doing all this stuff. Well, then he went on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Yes. Or as my dad calls her, Ellen DeGeneres. He really thinks that. He thinks that. He thinks her name is Ellen DeGeneres. Well, that's close. The other day, my dad said that he wanted to have some cold slaw. Leave him alone. I love him. I love him. Leave him alone. I had to explain that. Dad, it's actually C-O-L-E. It's Cole. You knew what he meant. Poor Danny. Maybe he likes his room temperature. Maybe that's the deal. So here's Chris Harrison, the host of the show, having to defend himself against Ellen Degenerate. What about the rumors that the whole thing was planned all along? I mean, that's obviously not true. That's the one thing that did upset me about all of this. I understand the ending leaked out on the Internet. Some people learned about that. That's one thing. And if you're upset about the ending of the show, I completely empathize and understand with that. But when the rumors went from how this ends to this is completely contrived and scripted.
questioning not only the show's integrity, but my integrity and honesty, that's where I got a little upset. And some major publications and online publications went with this as fact. And these were rumors started online. And, you know, people will say stuff online, but when it started becoming fact, that's where it crossed the line of decency for me. I'll tell you what, that Chris Harrison, he's good. He's good. What I get upset about and what I think crosses the line is when you insult my intelligence, Chris. Yeah. I watched the show, bro. That's right. And in that whole thing, he doesn't actually answer the question. No. But he's smooth. Quite a spiel. I mean, Eddie's right. He makes you think he answered the question, but he didn't. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's smooth about it, though. Oh, Chris. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text is textmikey at gmail.com. In New Mexico, a woman accidentally swallowed her engagement ring. Yeah, this is weird. So this guy decides that he's going to propose and he's going to hide her ring in a milkshake. But she's not like drinking the milkshake fast enough. And I guess they're there with like some friends or whatever. And so he really wanted her to get to the ring. So they decide.
you know what, let's see who can drink their milkshake the fastest. Chug, chug. And he's thinking that they'll all do a little contest where they drink it with straws, and she's like, I'll show you how you drink it fast. Actually, no. They used spoons. Spoons. And he's thinking she'll go clink, clink, clink. It's like thick, you know, the ice cream is thick. Yeah. So, yeah, pounding it, pounding it, and they're all done with the contest. She swallowed her engagement ring. How do you do that? Do you not feel it in your mouth when it's a milkshake? If you're in an eating contest, Ashley, you should know. You've been in an eating contest. Absolutely, that's why I'm speaking on this, because I'm knowledgeable in this department. You don't chew milkshakes. That's right, you don't chew ice cream. But you taste it with your tongue when you taste the metal. Maybe it was in a big glop. Maybe she was really chugging at me. So after they went and got an x-ray, they saw it in there. And after lots of prune juice. No, no, no. Lots of prune juice, Mike. No way. It's fine, Mike. It's fine. You're okay, Mike. You're just doing fine. So now she's got that beautiful ring. On her finger. Oh, yeah. After all. Oh, my God. You've got to be kidding me. I mean, you've seen Bear Grylls do similar things. There it is. Just take your canteen. There it is. Just take your canteen and piece it off a little.
Wow. I still want you to present it to me. Present it to me. You're on the toilet. I have to be on my knees anyway. Here you go. They actually have it on videotape. I've seen the videotape. Of what part? Of them eating the milkshake. You guys. Eating the milkshake. Oh, that part. I'm glad that's the part. Honey, get the camera. Here it is. Dude, we've got to get that. I want to see that. I want to see her drink that thing. And you know what else I want to see is the x-ray. It could potentially be dangerous, you know? Oh, for sure. You know, diamonds are sharp. I'm sure that the little prong that holds the diamond is sharp. And so as it's working its way through the bowels. Okay, Mike, thank you. It could hurt, you know, it could hurt you. Okay, we're good. So that could potentially be very bad. Okay, Jewel might be out on Dancing with the Stars.
What? She might be out. Already? This was the deal last week that she really messed up her knee during rehearsals. And then she came back and said, no, no. She'd trip on her tooth? Yes, she did, Eddie. Really? She's a gorgeous woman. She is gorgeous. I like the tooth. I like the tooth. I think it adds character. It does not wave like that. Stop it. So she really messed up her knee. How was he waving it? He was using his little pointer finger and sticking it up to his mouth. Man. You were. You did. And so even though everybody on the Dancing with the Stars cast and crew were talking to the media saying, yeah, it's like a really bad injury, she was going, no, no, no, I'm going to be able to be fine. I'm going to be able to be fine. Well, inside sources say that Jewel has been replaced and her knee wasn't able to come back. That's one of the bigger stars they got this year. Yeah, and so they've witnessed a new celebrity going to dance rehearsals that wasn't part of the original cast. Richard Simmons.
That would be a great choice. Oh, I would watch that. It would be hysterical. Absolutely. It would be hysterical. Yeah. No. Dude, can you imagine that guy swishing around? Yeah. That'd be fantastic. Who is it? With a male partner. Yes. Yeah, they team him with that good-looking Latino. The celebrity they've seen going into the rehearsal studio is Holly Madison from The Girls Next Door. Oh. How boring. Ex-girlfriend. Boring. Lame. Yeah, so we'll see in the premiere if that really comes to be true, but it's looking that way. That's what, Monday? That's when it comes back? I'd rather Kendra. She'd be way better. P1 Mondo is on the line. What's up, Mondo? Hey, what's up? Yeah, I was just wondering how the women can enjoy the show in real life. If one man makes out with two women the same day, he's dubbed a dog. I just don't understand that whole concept. Well, you're saying, how is it that this guy is thought of as such a stud by these 25 women on the show where if a guy did that in real life, he would be thought of as a jerk? Exactly. I think it's because they all know the deal on The Bachelor, and in real life, that's not the concept. In real life, the concept is one girl at a time.
Yeah, well, and I have, for some reason, I think it has to do with this guy. His ultimate goal is to find the love of his life that he's going to settle down with and commit to forever. And in real life, it's like this guy's just a player and he's trying to get as much as he can. Right. I'm still a dog. Could it just be that these women just want to be on TV? Oh, well, please. Yeah, see, no, no. Well, listen, bro. In real life, Mondo, in real life, Mondo, the women aren't, as much as maybe you would want to think this, the women aren't competing for Mondo. Yeah. Whereas on the show, The Bachelor, the whole idea is competition. Right. Like half the time, if you watch those shows, What you really think to yourself is, does this chick even really like this dude? Or is it just about getting one over? She wants to win. She wants to win. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like a game show. It's more about that than it is anything else. Okay. Right on. Thanks, dude. All right. Thanks, man. So remember how we were talking about Octo Mom and how she had, before the eight kids came along, before the Octos came along, she already had six kids. We all know that, right? Remember how it came out?
that she actually had a 911 call that she had to make because one of her kids was lost or something like that, Sky? Yeah. Well, there were like eight different 911 calls from her house over like a year span. But one of them was because one of her kids went missing. And, you know, it turned out the kid had just followed grandma around the block. And Octomom didn't know that the kid had left to do that. But she called 911 thinking one of her babies was missing. Well, let me tell you something. We have the 911 call. Oh, wow. Yes. And it is, it's unbelievable. Oh, no. It's unbelievable, especially because one of the things that she says, and you have to understand, while this 911 call is being placed, you hear other kids around her making noise. Okay. And she is saying something in front of them. Which we'll play you. We'll play you the 911 call. She's saying something in front of them that the 911 operator actually has to say to her, stop saying that. What? Stop saying that. Oh, my gosh. In front of those kids. Because the 911 operator can hear the kids in the background and say, stop saying that. Yeah. And it's very, you know what it is? It's sad. It's compelling. It's unbelievable. We'll play it next. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. Rock.

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks, man. I switched my insurance over to AIS, and I never really bought into the whole, like, advertiser thing, but you totally hooked me up, and 900 bucks, so. I'm appreciative of it. It always makes me wonder what took you as long as it did. You know, I just, like, I never just, you know, I never called in and listened to them, you know, and paid attention, really. All right. I finally did, and I saved a whole bunch of money, and I also got my dirt bike on there as well, which was totally cool. How much money did you save?
Like 920. It was pretty sweet. 1-800-777-4247. Thanks, brother. By the way, I want to give you the AIS website. It's AISinsurance.com. Right arm is almost completely sleeved. Eddie. I don't like to waste food. On Rock 105. Email from 739 reporter Mari Payton. Oh, Mari faked on. That's right. She says, guys, I've been sleeping in with my new hours until 10 on my new schedule. But I'm driving up to Big Bear today, so I get to listen to you guys. I'm going snowboarding. Oh, what up? Are you going to go snowboard in Big Bear? Mm-hmm, tomorrow. Have you ever done it? I've never snowboarded in Big Bear. But you've snowboarded. Yeah, like I have my own board and boots. You do? And overalls and everything. Really? Uh-huh. Wow. Yeah.
Are you good at it? How many times have you done it? Boarded? Yeah. I used to do it a lot more. Now I probably go like once a year if that. Like not very much. Is it like whoop-a? Yeah. Do you go when you get up there? Were you pitted? Pretty pitted. Yeah. How are the barrels? Get pitted. So pitted. The barrels are like. Dude, you got the best barrels ever, dude. They're pretty gnarly. You just get spit right out of them. Spit right out of them. Spit right out of them. Yeah. I would like to, but I think it's going to happen. I mean, it's a great idea. It sounds great in theory. I don't like being cold. Yeah, being cold is kind of a bummer, too. Falling sucks, too. You fall hard. If you're like me and you have no fear, so you go fast and you take on big slopes that you shouldn't, then you fall hard. So when you go, Ash, do you basically get down that mountain and you have fun and it's not just a big fall fest? No, because I can, like, I can do a run, but I'm not the best at carving, which is like how you board down the hill. Turning back and forth. Flying tomato. I'm not the best at it. If there's a lot of bumps, if the snow isn't that soft, I'm going to biff hard. A lot. A lot. But you just get back up and you keep going. And then the more you do it, you get to know the slope better, and then you can do a better run. Well, I just want to...
If I could know beforehand, okay, it's going to take you three hours, and after three hours, you'll be able to do this. No. It's all on you, though, dude. Yeah, it's a deal. You have to be able to do it, though. My dad tried to attempt snowboarding, and he cracked, like, multiple ribs and was like, okay, screw this. I'm too old to learn, and now he just skis. All right, guys, you ready for this? Oh, man. The Octomom. Yeah. Oh, I love her. So, she had to call 911. This is October. of 2008. So this was just not that many months ago. She had to call 911 because one of her kids had wandered off. Oh, man. 911 emergency. Help me. Help me. My son is missing. I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy. Okay, you're going to have to calm down. What address are you at? Where's my son? Where's my son? Where's my son? How old is he? He's five. Please God help me. What if he, what if someone came in the car or some stranger? Oh God, oh God, I'm going to kill myself. Oh God, I'm going to kill myself. Oh God. I'm going to kill myself. Oh God. I'm going to kill myself. I'm going to kill myself. Hey, don't say that in front of your other child, okay?
Keep yourself under control for your other child. He doesn't need to hear that. Okay? Okay, so he's back. Very, very, very compelling audio. I was not expecting that. Wow. Now, I got a couple thoughts here. Yeah? A couple thoughts here. Oh, boy. One thing is, I think it's very sad because you got kids involved, you know? There's kids in the background. All right, so I think it's really sad because there's other kids involved. The other thing that I think is kind of sad is, and probably at a much lesser level but still sad, is that, you know, anytime you're playing back a 911 call, it's probably going to be frantic. You know, if I ever have to call 911, and I've called 911 before, it's not me.
sounding composed, you know, so you're going to be frantic. But here's the deal, here's the deal, is that the reason that her 911 call is worthy of being played back is because she's in the spotlight for having too many kids and not being able to take care of them, which is based on her choices. And so... Yeah, because my wife has said to me, you know, I feel really bad for her. And I feel bad for her too because I don't think she's right upstairs necessarily. You know, I don't think she's right. Yeah, I mean, she's not, I don't think she's right. And I also think that she's made choices. And one of the choices was to have, you know, each time it was a choice because she did the in vitro or whatever. And so she decided out of her, what I would think would be more motivated by her own wants and needs instead of what would be important for those kids. It was, I want six kids. I want six kids. I want, I want. And she got them. But along with that came the responsibility of having to look after all of these kids that were going around. And that could happen to any parent.
A kid wandering off could happen to any parent. But the reason that we're sort of pouring over this particular 911 call is because now she's got 14. And so we're going to pour over it because she's a news story now. And so, you know, there's a part of me that says, oh, man, are we just piling on to to a news story? You know, are we just piling on? Yeah, we are. But the only reason that we're able to play the callback at all is because she's made these choices that have put it on. The radar. Yeah. Well, what's crazy to me, you know, is the reason she had these eight extra babies was because she didn't want to get rid of the embryos. Because to her, that was like murder. But she is threatening to kill herself while she's pregnant with these babies. Like, really? Now, is there a part of us that says that she wasn't actually talking about taking her own life, but that it was more figurative? You know what I mean? Like, oh my gosh, I'll kill myself if this happened. But we don't actually intend to shoot ourselves or take our own life. It doesn't matter. But is that possible? 100%. To me, it doesn't matter. There is something mentally wrong with this lady. And it's clear when you listen to that and what her reaction was to something like that. I mean, that's...
In front of the kids, too, man. She's very unstable. In front of those kids. And that really freaks me out. That really is bad. Yeah, listen. Because the answer to the question, could it have been something that was being said figuratively and that she didn't actually literally mean she was going to take... Regardless, I guess, you kind of have to say, oh, man, that's a bummer that those poor kids had to be... Witness to that. Witness to it. But what kind of tripped me out even more... was the little boy who you could hear going, who's on the phone, mommy? Who's on the phone? It was almost like he wasn't phased by her behavior. You know, like I think a normal kid would be like, mommy, what's wrong? Are you okay, mommy? Interesting. But he was like, who's on the phone? Yeah. You know, and that is nuts. Is that for me? Right? I didn't even notice that. That's good. Oh, yeah. That's a good point. Weird. And the whole thing is just, it's just a, it's a crazy story. So here is, Nadia Solomon reacting to the fact that these 911 tapes got out there, that they're out there, that they're being played. And this is her basically saying what she thinks about it all. The call was placed on October 27, 2008. Nadia in hysterics searching for her missing son. Oh, God. I'm going to kill myself. I'm going to kill myself. And what are your other child? Get yourself under control for your other child. He doesn't need to hear that.
Okay. But Nadia says it was all a misunderstanding. I think when my son had wandered off with a nanny, he was safe, but I didn't know he went. He didn't tell me. So I kind of became anxious. Kind of. Is a five-year-old supposed to tell you before they go somewhere how that works? Leave you a note? Mom, I'm going to go to the store real quick. Yeah. Mom, I'm taking off, so. BRB. I got the car. I'm taking the car. Like, you know what I mean? Yeah. Oh, man. Well, if your five-year-old says that they're leaving and they're taking the car, it's your responsibility to see that, A, they have their driver's license. That's a great point. B, that they're insured. Absolutely. Which, by the way, you know, 1-800-777-4AIS. Really? Really? That's a good point. Okay. You want your five-year-old insured. I mean, you know. Come on, guys. P1 Michelle. Yes. What's up?
I have a question. What's the difference between her who has six kids and one kid wanders off as opposed to somebody else who only has one kid and they wander off? What makes her any worse? You know what? That is a really good point. That is a really good point. And let me even help you out with that. Okay. Because as I was listening to it, I was thinking to myself, you know, I have one kid. Yeah. And, you know, having a kid. And, you know, when I'm watching him, I really got my eye on him like a hawk. We're about to have two more. My wife's pregnant with twins. Well, congratulations. Thank you. And we're going to be watching, at that point, we're going to be watching three of them. Anybody can have a kid wander off. And, you know, listen, you're doing your best. You're watching your kids. You're being a good parent. Any one of us could have our kid wander off. I think that the reason that Nadia Solman is being looked at a little bit more critically is a couple of reasons. She has put herself on the radar. She continues to do more and more and more interviews. So part of it is that she's put herself on the radar. The other part of it is that she decided that she wanted to have 14 kids.
And so it has become more of a question. See, let's say, for instance, Michelle, that you have five kids and one of them wanders off and you make a 911 call and you're really upset. Yeah, it's not going to be on the news. And the reason and the reason it's not going to be on the news is because you don't have 14 kids that you had on purpose, willfully through in vitro fertilization. That's why it's not going to make the news. And you're not already under national scrutiny for not really being able to take care of these kids. Right. And you answering back to that criticism by saying, I absolutely can take care of them and I absolutely, you know, then you're going to be a little bit more under the microscope. And the other reason that it's so sensational is because she's saying over and over again, figuratively or not, she's saying over and over again, I'm going to kill myself. I'm going to kill myself, which is... That's frightening. The 911 operator, I do too. I do too. Listen, I do too, and I think that I do too. But what you hear Nadia Solman doing is you hear there is a little bit of a lack of accountability.
I can tell you right now that if I do that, man, I sure hope and I say I hope because I don't know, but I hope I can be accountable enough to go, man, that was you're catching me in a bad moment. And that is embarrassing. And yeah, I should not have said that. I shouldn't have said that. That was a bad thing for me to say. And I'll tell you, if we heard Nadia Solomon saying that, people would probably be giving her a bigger break. But through the whole thing, Nadia says, no, I didn't do anything wrong and it's OK. And 14 kids is all right. And that call was OK. And everything is increasingly OK, OK, OK. And I think the deal is, is it's we're all going to make mistakes. It's not about why this. It's what next. It's not why this. It's what next. What do I do next? I made a mistake. So what do I do now? And I think that that's why the scrutiny. But I do not. I just want to answer your original question, Michelle, which is, hey, can't any of us have our kid wander off? And if they do, we're going to be scared. Absolutely. And can I just address something on that question? Because the point is kind of correct that, yeah, anyone's kid can wander off. But when you have two kids, doesn't your chance double from?
than one. And if you have five, then it's five kids you've got to keep an eye on. And when it's 14, I think there is a difference between 14 and one. Watching 14 kids is much different than watching one kid. And ask any babysitter. I think they can kind of tell you that. Do the math. Thank you. My point is that what she did was wrong. No one's disagreeing with that. But the media has stoned her so much. I mean, what's next? Are we going to be reporting on what nail polish she's using, what toilet paper she's using? We already are. We already are, Michelle. We practically already are. But Michelle, what do you think about this? There might be a way that we wouldn't be able to break down the audio of this interview if she's not doing the interview. Would you agree? Yeah. No, I agree. I'm not defending her at all. Yeah, because she kind of keeps putting, like when you say the media is stoning her, I'm part of that media, by the way. Well, I don't think you guys are stoning her. Oh, that is cool. I was listening. I think you guys are being fair. You guys are the only ones that are being fair. I mean, but when this is on entertainment news every night or the insider every night, and she is that fault too.
Because she's the one agreeing to this. Absolutely. Yeah. I mean, yes, you're 100 percent correct. And that's the deal. It's like, you know, Nadia would really help herself out to not be getting stoned by the media by not sort of putting herself out there in the middle of it. You know, you got it. That would be a good thing. Yeah, I agree with that. My only concern was the fact about a kid wandering off. I have two kids. My son is four years old, and he is a runner. We had a swing set in the back of our yard, and it was about as high as a fence. I couldn't go to the bathroom without him jumping that fence. I got rid of the swing. Hey, I get it, Mom. Trust me. I get it. I get it. Different circumstances. Different circumstances. And I think that people do have a problem with her screaming, I'm going to kill myself. I'm going to kill myself in front of her kids. Absolutely. Well, yeah, in front of her kids. But if anything happened to my kids, I can't say that, you know, I wouldn't be depressed. I'm not going to say suicidal, but if anything happened to my kids, I wouldn't be the same. I mean, I have a problem with that Kaylee Anthony and the Casey Anthony case. I mean, I can't even watch that anymore on the news because I break down crying every time. I can't either.
I can't either. I mean, it just scares me how sick this country has gone. It's just the media projecting on it. I didn't know how many kids came up missing as much until Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped. Hey, we appreciate the phone call. P1 Susie's on the line and has an incredible point. Susie, are you there? Yes, I am. Good morning. What were you going to say? Well, I wanted to say that, you know, I used to be a daycare provider. you know, my sister-in-law is, and you have to have a license in the state of California to babysit 14 kids. Not only that, but to have, to babysit 14 kids, you have to have helpers for that many kids. That's true. There's like a limit. You gotta be licensed. Well, you have to be licensed. And then also there's a limit to how many kids each person is allowed to watch. So if you have more than so many kids, you need multiple people. Yeah, when I worked at a daycare, like our rule was four to one. So like we had to have someone, if there was 12 kids, we'd have three people there. You know what just occurred to me too? Hey, listen, something else just occurred to me right now. Ashley worked at a daycare? Yeah. I didn't know that. No. That's the real news. Yeah, no kidding. But something just occurred to me. What?
Not until this second right now. One of the things that we've been saying is, and I think even Rob said at one point, and I said too, is, you know, man, back in the old days, people used to have blah, blah, blah amount of kids. In fact, and I said this, I said my mom was one of 13. And then it actually just occurred to me right now, maybe that wasn't a good idea. And maybe, you know, because what we say, what we've said about it when we brought it up in the past is, hey, they did it. So and I'm thinking about it and I'm all, yeah, you know what else? There was some pretty gnarly stuff they did. Oh, yeah. You know, that don't make it right just because they did it. In fact, I think it may have caused some damage to my mom who was, you know, she was one of the younger ones. She was one of the like last ones to come along. And there was like some.
neglect that was going on. And so just because it happened. They used to build buildings with asbestos. Yeah. Just because they did doesn't make it good. I don't think it necessarily makes it bad though. Well, yeah, it absolutely does. You know, that's the thing I'm asking. That's the thing I'm asking. Here's the deal. Asbestos is a set thing. Like, you can't compare that with every family. Listen, bro. I can't. You're right. I can't say. My dad had three brothers, four sisters, man. Okay. I can't say that. I can't say. So it wasn't exactly like. I can't say that across the board, it was a bad thing. But I also can't. I can't say that just because there was that many kids. Like, you know. Maybe it would have been healthier to not have that many kids. Maybe it would have been better for those kids to not have that many kids. And I think in particular situations, that's 100% correct. That it's better to have more? No, no, no. I just don't think across the board that in every family that has a lot of kids, every situation, kids are always feeling left out. You know what I mean? Or that it's always bad to have.
you know, let's say like five or six kids. Here's a question I'm asking my mom. Uh-huh. Hey, mom, you were one of the last of 13 kids. Was it healthy for you? Like, what do you think? Was your upbringing pretty functional? That's a question that you got to ask. Because if it was dysfunctional, you have to look at that as part of the reason why. You have to. Absolutely. You have to. But that's one case, you know? There's that show, what's it, 18 Kids and Counting? Where I'm sure that, you know, when they're growing up, you could ask them and some of them are going to go, no, I don't think it was this. I don't have very much. I don't have very much experience with the show. My wife watches it and everything. But what I have heard is that what I have heard is that in a lot of cases, like the older kids are raising the younger ones in that family. Yeah, but I know the parents are very involved in everything that the older kids do help out. Haven't they effectively become like the GM of the family? The manager is the older brother and sister, you know? Like, they're managing those kids. Listen, Rob fights for giant families, okay? It's his cause. Yes. His thing is giant families. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Cock-a-doodle-doo? That's supposed to get me out of bed? It cock-a-doodle don't work for me. Know what does? Text Mikey at gmail.com. This text says, Mikey, I am done with Octomom. Says, you guys are piling on along with the rest of the media. Can we please move on to other things? Besides, I'm done with the gossip. Been listening to the show since you guys took over for Stern because you guys are funny, not for Octomom gossip. Well, listen, it isn't really gossip. It's news. Right. I mean, it's 100% news. And listen, man, I respect your opinion, bro. And I understand. And did you hear our joke about the kid taking the car? Hello. Like you didn't laugh at that? Yeah, hello. He did. Okay. This text says, Nadia is a narcissist. Clearly, the 911 call is all about Nadia. And what is Nadia going to do? Yeah. I've called 911 twice.
Once when my autistic kid was missing, he was in the doghouse outside. That's beside the point. The phrase I blank never came out in either one of my calls because the subject of the call was not me. It was about my child. Her choice has nothing to do with many kids. It's all about Nadia. Nadia wants the kids and wants to fulfill her needs. Yeah, that was... P1 autism mom. That is a great observation. It's true. I've had to make a couple of 911 calls in... A couple. Police. Well, actually, they're made on you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There is someone stealing my car. And it's never been, you know, like you don't really say I too much. It's like them, you know. So that, oh, great point. What about I've fallen and I can't get up? I have the clock. I just... Yeah. The clapper and then the lights come on. And then the lights come on and I'm like, I'm still falling down. Why did I get this clapper for the lights? If what I really get is... We can't do this all day now. So there you go, P1 Biggs. We're going to change the subject. Now we're done. How about this? P1 Biggs will like this. Megan Fox has signed on to do two comic book adaptations. She is gorgeous. She's so hot.
She is. The hottest. She is. Yeah. She's beautiful. She's amazing. You don't know who Megan Fox is? Rob. Rob, don't be stupid, bro. He does, too. No, I do. You do. Okay. It's the girl from Transformers. Transformers, man. I don't really remember her. Yeah, it's almost like you can say you don't remember her. I'm going to throw something at you. You should. She looks hot. She's beautiful. Good for her. Good for her. Beautiful girl. Beautiful girl. So anyway, what movies is she going to be in? Well, she's signed on to star in two new comic book-based movies. Spider-Woman? I think she gets where her fan base is, which is smart. One of them is called... She-Hulk? Is that a real thing? Of course it's a real thing. I didn't know.
One of the movies is called Fathom, which is about an orphan who owes her superhuman swimming skills to being part of a secret underwater race. That's a documentary. So I bet we'll see a lot of skin in that one. Send me the link. Wait, no, there's no link yet. Send me the link. And the other is called Jonah Hex, which is a Western that will co-star Josh Brolin and John Malkovich. I don't remember one. it started, man. But when the comic book thing started, it was like... They just started coming, man. Keep doing X-Men ones. It's a legitimate genre of movies now. You've got comedies, you've got drama, you've got westerns, and you've got comic books. Eddie, is there one that has not been done that you'd like to be done? The ones that they say they're making that are coming out soon, I'm all about, which is The Avengers, which was one of my favorite titles. Thor, which is really cool. Captain America, who is one of my favorites. I can't wait for those. Those are going to be outstanding. Is Gambit going to be in the Wolverine movie? Card Shark. His name is not Card Shark. It's Gambit. Why did she say Card Shark? Because she thought that's what he was. I thought that's what his name is. It's played by my favorite actor from Friday Night Lights. Ladies and gentlemen, calm down. He's really sexy. Ladies and gentlemen, we will now give out
Our priority lists on our DVRs. I couldn't prioritize. Yeah, I got questions. I have a list of like 20. I had to make two lists. Sky has two pieces of paper. I have questions. And what is that written on? What are those papers? What's up? Eddie, what is that? On mine? No, no, no. Skye, what has she got that written on? Well, it's a notepad that has pictures of presents going down the side. And it's from the Alzheimer's Association. The compassion to care. The leadership to conquer. Is that free? What? Of course it's free. Did you send a donation? What? That's what they send those out for. If you're going to use it, you should donate. I will. Okay? I can't. I haven't gotten around to it. I've donated my good thoughts. All right, Eddie. That's a joke grenade. Okay, Eddie. Yes, yes. Have you got your list? I have my list. What's it written on? My Chewbacca paper. That's awesome. Where did you get the Chewbacca paper? My mom got it for me for Christmas. Awesome. It was in my stocking. All right, are we all ready? That's cool. Santa Mouse, 35 years old. Santa Mouse, your point. Yeah.
I am going to get mine out there because I think mine are probably the least interesting because I don't watch as much TV. But just so you guys can see what you think of it, my wife who watches a lot of TV, she's really the prioritizer. So I saw what her list was. So mine is boring. Mine is my top five are Tyler's Ultimate. Number five. Okay. All right. Man versus food, number four. Wow. Man versus wild, number three. 48 hours mystery, number two. Wow. Jamie at home. Come on. Is the most important thing for me to take. Dude. Yes. That is crazy. What is that? Jamie at home? Jamie at home. It's Jamie Oliver's cooking show. Now, should we go in like number one, number two, number three, number four? Should we go that way? Is that better? To do it that way or 5-4-3-2-1? I like 5-4-3-2-1. Okay, 5-4-3-2-1. Here was my wife's, just in case you guys want to discuss. Her number, because she is a TV fan. Oh, yeah. And she's just like you guys. She loves the same stuff you guys love. Right. Number five, Survivor Tonkentins. Awesome, awesome. Number four, The Amazing Race. Awesome, love her. Number three, The Office. Yep, like it. Number two, Grey's Anatomy. Oh, boo. It's a great list. And number one, Lost.
Awesome. Guys, Eddie, what do you got? All right. Number five is the best man versus wild. Yeah. Of course. For sure. Love zit. Yeah. Number four. Don't ever say that again. Yeah, go ahead. I will say whatever I want. You're going to say love zit. Yes, I will. All right. Number four is Friday Night Lights. Nice. Great show. Wow. Thank you. You're welcome. Number three, like your wife, The Office. Yeah. Number two is. The Ultimate Fighter. What up? Oh, I like you. Love that. Loves it. Stop saying that. As well as your wife, number one is Lost. Yeah. That makes sense. Great list. It's a good list. Yeah. Skye? Well, we need to discuss things. What are your two papers? I have two lists. One is the actual priority on my DVR. But see, we don't set shows based on priority. Yeah, I don't either. We just set them. Well, you guys, I mean, you realize that things won't tape and stuff like that. I know what you're saying, Eddie. You don't have any conflicts? I do, but I work them out. You work them out. I work them out on the day of. You don't have to do that if you prioritize them. Okay, whatever. Stop yelling. Wow. You're screaming right in your face. So I have my actual top five that's actually in my DVR, but that's not my top five. I can't. I can't help myself.
I am curious why she doesn't use the prioritizer, Eddie. I don't know. I am. I'm curious. I mean, I could let it go. I could just go, eh, oh, you know what? She doesn't. And on the day of, she takes that extra step of having to organize it. To rearrange. Yeah. But you don't have to do that. Why do you do that, Sky? Well, because lots of shows, like, come up, you know, like, as we go along. Like, you know, we just. Don't look at me like that. Like, we just got a new DVR because our old one was old. And so we got a new DVR. And so, like, say we got the DVR on a Wednesday. I would set all the shows for the Wednesday. And then the Thursday, I just set, you know, like. And then you go back in and you prioritize. And then there's some shows that are, like, summer shows that aren't even on the guide yet. And so it's, you know. I get what you're saying. I know what you're saying. Yeah. For instance, if it's The Apprentice, but it won't matter. It's not going to air, and so you don't have to do anything with it. You can leave it where it is. It's not going to air anyway, but what the question that I don't get is that she got to go in there and do extra work. Every once in a while. All right. So what list do you want to hear? Do you want to hear my list or what's actually on, or would you like to hear both? Well, what's actually on there is just based on when you put it in there, so it doesn't really matter. Yes, it is. That one, don't worry. How about your favorite? Okay, here we go. This would be mine.
Number five, lie to me. Oh, come on. Are you serious? Great show. Great show. I wanted to see it, too. It looked kind of good. Oh, Mike, you know what you would love? You know how he reads people's faces? What they'll do is they'll take the face of that character making a certain expression and then put up pictures next to it of O.J. Simpson making that same expression. Bill Clinton making that same expression. It's super cool. That's awesome. Number four, Joe Peneliano in The Handler. What? That show is from like four years ago. Wow. And it ran for one season. Okay, number four is The Mentalist. What is going on with this? Another great show. I was shocked. First of all, Sky watches a lot of like dramas and stuff. She watches some random stuff. Very random. Number three is Weeds. What? Great show.
You're the best. Why is everyone screaming at me? This is an awesome show. I'm sure it is, but it's their third most important show. Yeah. Yeah, like, you know what that means, guy. Like, you're coming up on the two most important shows, and you can't miss these two next shows. Let's say this. Say Survivor's on and Weeds is on at the same time. You're going to choose Weeds over Survivor? Yeah. No doubt. In a heartbeat. Eddie, it's about marijuana. Okay. Number two is 24. Oh my, I have three shows I haven't heard yet that you love. I know it. And number one is Lost. What about The Office? The Office was number six. The Chronicles of Tara Connor or whatever. Yeah. What about that? Well, see, I did my top ten, and the original top ten had Terminator and Survivor on it, but then they ended up getting bumped when I remembered I loved Weeds and 30 Days. I loved Weeds. And 30 Days. I couldn't remember. Not on there. You're ridiculous. I'm in shock. Yeah. So you think you can... It's an awesome list. Pants.
It's an awesome list. I don't know what to think about that. Okay. Friday Night Lights isn't in your top five. Friday Night Lights. It's number 10. Ow. Number 10. Number 10. You TiVo it even though you've already watched it so it will get ratings. Yeah, I don't want it to get canceled. So I TiVo it even though I've already watched it. Prison Break. Just for it to get ratings. But all the shows above it, if I had to choose. But it's not getting ratings if you watch it. The only time it gets ratings is if you're in Nielsen house. It gets TiVo and DVR playbacks. You get TiVo ratings? They count DVR playbacks now. To the Nielsen? Not to the Nielsens. It's like a separate category. Oh. But the network's still looking at it. They love that. They do? Yeah. If you DVR something, it sends it. Like the office is huge in DVR playbacks. Well, then will you guys all add Jamie's shows to your DVR so that they're getting good ratings, please? No, I will not. Rob. Your list is angry. That was crazy. Just curious. Red Sox and Celtics, because I got the MLB. Hold on. Mike! Mike! Listen, I have the MLB network, and they do. Why can't everything be easy with this guy? I don't know. So I'm going to take the Red Sox and Celtics stuff out of it. Oh, we appreciate that. Okay. Thank you. Okay. Thank you. All right. Okay. Well, if I take that out of it, we're going to do a little bumper rooney here. Thank you, Mikey. And I got a.
Two-way tie in fifth place. You can't do that. Why are you being so difficult? There are ties on DVRs. There are ties on DVRs. Yes, there are because my DVR can record two things at once. Your DVR can tie. It still will say five and six. It doesn't say two fives. No, mine says tie. So coming in. No, you can't. This list is false. Choose one besides. This list is false. Breaking Bad The Office. Breaking Bad and The Office. No. Choose one. You're bad. They're recording at the same time. You have to choose one. Which one are you going to pick? Is it a new office? Of course it is. It would record if it wasn't. No, it would. You first run only it. No, I don't do that. Well, you should. You're wasting your DVR space. No, I like repeats. Number four. Which one? I'll leave it up to your imagination. I don't like your head. I'm going to punch it. Office is kind of on the decline. I'm going to go Breaking Bad. Oh, really? Wow. You love The Office. I do, but this season, no one's being sincere here. I know. I don't like this. I'm being sincere. I'm being sincere. This season, talk to my... Yeah, number 10. I would pick all of these shows over Friday Night Live. What do you have at number 7? Number 7 is 90210. You would pick 90210 over Friday Night Live? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I am not full of it. These are my feelings. You should be in prison. I'm American. The gal from Friday Night Lights is on 90210 right now. There should be laws about torturing you in a Guantanamo prison. Caner. Caner. Yeah. Okay. You should only be caned for it. 90210. I still have the rest of my list. This will make everybody happy. It means more to her than Friday Night Lights. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. If I had to do this, I'm sorry. Rob. Eddie, sit down. Go ahead. Number four. Sarah Silverman program. Number three, Ghost Adventures. I'm the worst list ever. Have you ever seen Ghost Adventures? No. It would scare the pants off you. Number two, Obbies. Everyone should stop by and get a sandwich today. Then number two, T.I.'s Road to Redemption, my new favorite show. And number one, The Today Show. Family Guy. Love you. Not the Stuart Living. Gossip Girl. I got some stuff on my list. What not to wear.
No, but House Hunters International is on. Oh, that's a great show. I love that show. Did you have to have Tootie Fruity face when you said that? What's your number one? Family Guy. Family Guy? Oh, yeah. Wow. That's a trip. Ashley? Yeah, well, my list is normal. Let's hear it. And truthful, I hope. We will be the judge of this. Unlike some people. Unlike some people. Get off my back. My list is truthful. My list is life. It's standard. Let's hear it. Number five, real world. All the way up there. Loves it. Number four, The Office. Yeah. Loves it. Number three, So You Think You Can Dance. Loves it. Loves it. Number two, The Hills. Oh, boo. This is a 25-year-old female's list. I am out on it. For sure. You might be out on it, but am I telling the truth? You are. Go back in your face. That's right. Number one. All over your face. What? And number one, obviously, you all probably can guess, the Grey's Anatomy. Thank you. I am normal. That makes sense. I am normal. That makes sense. My list rules. Yeah. My list is the best. Yeah, she likes 90210. Lies. More than Friday Night Lights. I'm sorry if it hurts your feelings. It does, a lot. She's Tebowing it to give it ratings, but she likes 90210. I love it. Your 10th favorite show. Yeah. Unbelievable. That is such a good one. Yeah, Sky, you are ridiculous.
You be quiet. Breaking bad. Oh, I love it. New season soon? I don't even know what that is. And it's prime because it's, you know, second scene isn't in. Cooking meth or something. Yeah, yeah. What are you talking about, weeds? Well, at least it's not meth, bro. No, it's a great inner struggle of do the right thing. At least it's not meth, bro. From Skye's Yesterday email. Oh, yeah, Skye. Oh, here we go. Went to dinner at the Yardhouse downtown and then to see Grease with my mom. I'm sure all of us can say this today. The Yardhouse has great happy hour specials. Delicious food. I only ordered from the happy hour menu. Really? What a surprise. That is a shock. Half off, dude. It was quite a deal. It was quite a deal. And then she says. Was starstruck when I saw NBC 739 weather person Pat Brown. I love her. I met her. She's so nice. I didn't have the guts to go talk to her. I have to Google her to see who she is. She's so great, Mark. I didn't have the guts to go up and say anything. Oh, you should have. She's so nice. Yeah, I was nervous. Yeah. She is a celebrity. She comes on the screen and it just warms you. You know, watching her. Let's see. Warms your heart. Let's see who she is.
Let's see who Pat Brown is. Yeah, she's a tiny little thing. Oh, I recognize her. And pretty. Did you talk to her? She's a blonde girl. I was too nervous. You were too nervous? Yeah. You should have said hi. Come on. I was nervous. It says here she used to be on Kixi Radio. She used to do a morning show. For real? Uh-huh. Yeah, she used to do a morning show, and then she said that they offered her this position to be the weather girl. Wow. But, I mean, I think there was time. Skye, why would you not go up and say hello? Well, you know Skye likes to lie about the weather. Yes, that is true. I'm sure she was intimidated. Skye said 20% chance of rain yesterday. Never happened. Well, that means there's an 80% chance that it's not going to rain. Like, what's your problem, bro? What's your problem? I'm just saying, Skye. Didn't it rain? You put a 20% chance of hope in us, all right? And it rained overnight, so face on your face, bro. Grease was awesome. Taylor Hicks. Yeah, Taylor Hicks was really cute. They threw in some little things that made me giggle. You did? Yeah, so that was nice. Did your mom like it? Yeah, and then at the end of the show, Taylor came out and sang his new single.
He did? Really? Yeah. That's unusual. Yeah, after they did the whole, you know, applaud, applaud, applaud, great. And then, oh, Taylor Hicks with his new single. How was it? It was cute. It was good. Oh, come on. Yeah, and I almost gave some chicks a beat down, too. Why? Because they were really making me mad. They were sitting, like, right in front of me and over one seat. And the whole time, as the musical is going on, they're talking during the dialogue. When the singing happens, they start singing the songs out loud. Singing. And they're like singing to each other. And then one of the girls throughout the thing is opening her cell phone and doing the text messages. So her screen's like lighting up. No one came over and said anything to them? And so towards the end of the first act. When they would start singing or talking, I would kick as hard as I could the back of her shoulder. Oh, my God. I was so angry. And I told myself. Did your mom, like, go stop it? I don't think she noticed me doing the kicking. And I had told myself because I think they were from the press because all the press kind of sits in one area because they give them, like, tickets. Were they young?
They were probably, I'd say like mid-20s. Really? And so I wanted to ask them where they were from so I could talk smack about them this morning on the radio. But I was so angry. I was so angry. But they left during intermission and never came back. Really? Yeah. Hey, P1 Joe sat next to Sky last night. What? At Grease. Joe, are you there? How are you guys doing? Good, man. Yeah, I was sitting in front of her, and I heard that she was going to be there, so I was looking for her and stuff, and I figured I wouldn't see her. But before the show started, there was some guy on stage, and he was trying to get the crowd all wild and stuff. Okay, we don't need to talk about this, Joe. What? We don't need to mention it. And what happened? People are doing, like, a swimming dance, you know, and doing different motions, and I look back. You nerd. And I see her standing up, and she's, like, swimming. Oh, my God. Okay. Oh, my God. What? I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to lie. The Yard House makes great martinis. Oh, no. Drunk Sky. We were doing the twist and we were doing the swim and we were doing the monkey. That's right. These things need to be done. Sky, that's awesome, man. Whatever. There's something else. Definitely funny. Thanks, dude. It wasn't hard to pick you out of the crowd. Text Mikey at... Shut up.
Eddie's pointing and laughing. Sorry I participate, okay? Text Mikey at gmail.com. Sky, you're my hero. Weeds is the best show on TV, and I would pick it over the other shows. P1 Vodka. Thank you. Let's see. This person is not a fan of Grease. Did not enjoy it. Sky, you liked it, though, right? Yeah, I mean, there definitely were some things that were different about it. You know, like there was no race on Thunder Alley. Don't laugh at me. I'm sorry. How do you even do the movie without the race? Don't laugh at me. What is that? On Thunder Alley. How does someone know to say there was not even a race at Thunder Alley? Oh, Thunder Alley. Well, that was a big, cute little part of the movie. It was. I mean, if they lost their minds. Race at Thunder Alley! What's your problems? Hey. I'm on now. Yeah, I really enjoyed it. I had a really good time. Yes. Eddie Sky said that Friday Night Live is being number 10 on her priority list. Let's go. I'll show you the rest of my list during commercial. I'll show you my content. I'll show it to you. I'll show you mine. No, I don't want to see it. I want to see it, Rob. When we come back, Vanilla Ice apologized for his career. Wait, what? Finally. And we have the audio next.

The Mikey Show continues. With Mikey. I got a two-year-old son. I have a wife named Rebecca.
Eddie. Daddy had some drinks. That's right. Sky. You know, because I don't buy dessert, because I shouldn't eat dessert. Boston Rob. I'm a romantic. I can't help that. And Ashley. Wake up! The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Kanye sings good. Welcome back. It's nine. At the break, I said, we got this deal of vanilla ice. No. apologizing for his career. That's right. Oh, man. Vanilla Ice apologizing for his career. I'm sorry. Even though Ice Ice Baby sold over 40 million copies worldwide, I have no excuses. Rob Van Winkle here. You might know me better as Vanilla Ice. I'm sorry for the hairdos, baggy pants, the scandals, the lies, the gangs.
And I'm sorry about the music. I was young, manipulated, and I was a puppet. Now, well, what you don't know is that this is for a promotion for Virgin Mobile's rightmusicwrongs.org. So it's a commercial. Okay. But it's pretty funny. He's apologizing for his career. I don't. I don't know how to take that. Yeah. I mean, I personally liked Ice Ice Baby. I loved Ice Ice Baby. I mean, so it's kind of insulting if you ask me. I liked Ice Ice Baby. Well, everyone did, Mike. Was there any part of Vanilla Ice that you felt after a little while became a punchline? Well, yeah. Every single part of him. Yeah. The hair with the shaved stuff inside of it. Yeah. It was great. Chains. Those were good. The chains. But that's the jam, bro. It is. I don't care. I don't care what you say. The white guy talking like that. You know, the whole thing. You know what I mean? I appreciate it. Yeah, it's kind of sexy. I guess all of it. You think it's kind of sexy. Okay. Still, Sky would only prioritize that voice as number 10. Well, Eddie's just settling down. Can you not bring it up again? It's still pretty upsetting. So infuriating. You're infuriating. You are. Eddie's wife is pregnant with his first child. Went to a...
Doctor's appointment yesterday and got a clean bill of health. Oh, that's so good. All as well. Yeah, so our little scariness on the weekend, we're good. Did they accidentally tell you the sex of the baby? Nope. Is it wrong that I hope for that? It's just a question. You want to ruin our surprise. Let me tell you something. Sky wants to call your doctor and say, can you tell me at least? Why does she care that much? So I can know what the baby is? No, you're not in control of this situation. That's right. Sorry. Impossible. I will say this. The wife and I have finally come to an agreement on a girl name. Really? Oh. And I'm trying to convince her that we should tell people and not keep that a secret. And what does she say? She's thinking about it. Well, the boy name she says absolutely not, right? Boy name we're 100% on, but we all agreed on that like a long time ago. And that was? I can't say it.
But you're considering saying what the girl name is. We're considering saying what both of them are. Oh, both? Yeah, yeah. Because I said to her, I said, like, why are we keeping this a secret? We're already keeping the sex. Like, why keep the names? Enough secrets in this friendship. That's right. I agree. And she said she will consider it. And I said, well, what is it? Like, why are we? Why are we keeping that a secret? She didn't really have a good answer. It was her answer. She's like, oh, well, you know, like I picture you like going into like the waiting room and saying, oh, we have a whatever. His name is whatever or her name is whatever. Rick Johnson. But I wouldn't. I go. That's a boy blunders reel. Why would he name his baby? Rick Johnson. You guys. That's Gary Schoenwetter. One of our old bosses. That is weird. That is weird. So strange. Ladies and gentlemen, Bobby Ithrasata. Okay. Who is that? I don't even know who that is. Yeah. Okay. Yes. Mike and Space Boy laughed at that. Wow.
Anyway, I said I wouldn't do that, though, babe. I would go in and I'd say what it was, but I don't know that I did now. It's like, and the name is Bob Barker. I'm not going to do that. So hopefully she'll let me say what the name is. That's fantastic. I beg of you. I beg of you to I am him right now and tell him it's okay. We need it. Well, I'll give you this. We know it's either a boy or a girl. Really? When did you find that out? Yeah, I know if you want to know. Shut up. Deal with it. It's called paybacks, guy. Let it go. Even when we have it, I'm not going to tell you what it is. That's right. You don't get to know. Guess. Well, and then Eddie got his hair cut. My hair did. Oh, man. Eddie got his hair is dead. You got your wig split. Did you go to us? You got your wig split? Did you go to the same place you always go? Yeah, I have a regular now. You have a regular? Yeah. Oh, good. You like it? I love it. Great place. Awesome. How is your person that does your hair? Well, it was a different gal this time, and she didn't speak a lick of English. Cool. What did she speak? Some sort of Asian. An Asian dialect? I don't know. I don't want to be presumptuous. Yeah. Well, I mean, because it could have... I mean, if it is Asian, it could have been... It could have been a couple of things. It could have been Vietnamese.
But it very easily could have been Korean. You don't know. I don't know. I don't know. You don't know. And we proceeded to have, like, a great conversation. Really? And I have no idea what she was saying. Oh, well, good. Do you speak in the Asian dialect? Me? Yeah. No, I don't. What have you been taking? That would be horrible. Was that a stone lessons or something? No, no, no. She just would say stuff to me and I would be like. She spoke very broken English is what. No. I don't know. No. Couldn't tell you. So what do you think you may have talked about? I think we talked about the economy. Hey, that's what people are talking about. I'm pretty sure it was about the economy. I love that you walked out of there and you're like, I don't know what we were talking about. I don't have any clue. But I was engaging, man. Oh, wow. That's cool. I was like, really? Yeah. That's cool, bro. Yes, I agree with that. Is that so? Great point. Let's see. That's good. Ashley walked five miles yesterday. Oh, show off. That's right. Yeah, fast-paced five-mile walk. Who, you and Julia Guglia? Julia Guglia is awesome. It was her and Julia Guglia. It was awesome. That's somebody from The Wedding Singer. That's my friend. Well, I call her Julia Guglia. Anybody if their name is Julia. Julia is Julia Guglia. It's a girl. And then she watched The Biggest Loser. Did you cry? No. This season hasn't really gotten me that emotional. Don't say it. So.
Hasn't got you crying yet? Hasn't gotten me that emotional. Just not bad enough? I think, I'm going to make a bold statement, but I think that the host of The Biggest Loser is beautiful. She used to play Sammy. She still does. She's still playing Sammy? Allison Sweeney. Allison Sweeney. Eddie, I think that you are, what do you call it? You're influenced by the character Sammy. She's gorgeous. She's a horrible person. Well, she's in the show. What? In the show. In Days of Our Lives, she can be a bit of a beat. I thought that was a documentary. Oh, Days of Our Lives is not a documentary? That's what Ashley's claiming, but I don't believe her. Yeah, Sammy and Lucas. I've never seen it anyway, so I don't know what you guys are talking about. Wait a minute. That's not true. That's crazy, dude. That's your stories. Sammy's snarling. I saw it one time. I'm sure. One time. Ashley talked to her friend Jillian. Jillian told her that she's pregnant. Oh, my gosh. So Ashley's going to be an auntie. Did Jillian get married? Nope, not yet. Is she going to wait until after the baby's born? She has to now. Well, yeah, because I remember she said she couldn't have fat people in her wedding party. That's right. Or pregnant people. So, yeah. So, I mean, she kind of.
That's sweet. This is a tricky situation because it came out of nowhere. They didn't plan it. She's living with her boyfriend who's 41. That's crazy. She's 26 and they're very happy and they live together in Idaho and been together for a little over a year or coming up on a year. The plan was to get married and all this and then now she's pregnant so the baby's going to come first I guess. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. Wonderful. Congratulations. Did anybody else do anything yesterday? That's an interesting story. Yeah, it is. I'm happy for her. American dream. It's not the American dream. For some people, it may be. I guess I mean it. Technically, it could be. I'm happy for her. There's a person in Nigeria that would love that. So, dot, dot, dot.
To each their own. We all have different hobbies. I don't know that it's a hobby. I don't have any hobbies. No? I read a little bit, but... You guys have any hobbies? Hobbies? Yeah. Poker? Golf? Boxing? Gaming? I gotta move the fish tank downstairs. Oh, that's a project. You are not doing that yourself. How dare you even speak those words? I don't even want to see him do it. That's dangerous. Yeah, that would be dangerous and hard to look at. So, let's see. Some news that's out there. The California Supreme Court is going to hear arguments against Prop 8 today. People rallied for same-sex rights downtown last night. Gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay. I saw them. I saw him down there when I was there. Yeah, represent. Yeah, well, I was going to Tinkle before I left the art house, and all these people were coming in with the flags. And Mrs. Drunk's guy? Yeah, yeah. And the signs. Martini's guy. Oh, man, if I didn't have tickets to Greece, I would have been all up in there. Oh, man. Easy. Yo, Grant.
So the Supreme Court is going to hear arguments against Proposition 8, which is to outlaw gay marriage here in California. And lots of people are supporting getting rid of Prop 8, like the House state, the legislator, the general attorney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi. And basically what their argument is, is that voters didn't have the right to actually vote on this. They say because it strips a minority group of a constitutionally protected right, a majority vote is not enough. It requires a two-thirds vote of the state legislature before it can even go on the ballot. And since they didn't take that step to get that vote to even put it on the ballot, they say that the law itself is invalid. That's so creepy to me. What? That they basically, like, here's what I think would be fair. listen, we want to exercise our rights. We want to try to do whatever. But to try to, it's just like, I want my way and I'm going to go about it in any way possible. Yeah, Sean Penn. Well, but if they got it put on the ballot illegally, then yeah. Oh, come on, Sky. I mean, if you're going to change the concept. How many times do we have to vote about something as a people and go, this is what the people of California are saying?
More people voted and said no. But the people of California aren't allowed to have a voice on this unless two-thirds of the state legislature say they can. And you know what sounds fair? That the people of California shouldn't have a voice. That sounds totally right, totally normal. What if the people of California wanted to bring back slavery? You think it would be okay for them to vote on that? Well, Skye, I guess you would have to put that to a vote, wouldn't you? And in this country, it probably wouldn't pass, would it? It probably wouldn't. Listen, somebody could say that. I mean, somebody could really go, I want slavery to come back. They could. And you could try to get a bunch of petitions. You're probably not going to get very many. Now, in this particular case, there were plenty of people that wanted to vote the first time. And they did. And they said, we don't want gay marriage in California. And then the people that were against it said, no, no, no, let's rally. Let's do this thing. And so four judges. Their voices were what meant something. And so they overturned that. And then that turned into a hubbub. And we said, well, let's get everybody in the state to vote on it. And we did. And it came out that there shouldn't be gay marriage. And now this? I mean, it's how many times are you going to have to put on the ballot? I think it's awesome. Yeah. Awesome. Let's get milk involved. Yeah. Well, you can't do that. Two percent. What?
When we come back, how about this? You think that's a firecracker? How about this one? Michael Jackson's actually filing a lawsuit against somebody. And I'll tell you who he's suing when we come back. On the rock. With the toast, Chris's best man, Alex. Thank you. You know, it is times like these that remind us of how special. I don't want to be involved in this. Before she started laughing. I mean, look at the color she's wearing. And now she's waving like she's on a float. Like she's on a float. Really? She may still be drunk. She's really on. Yeah, she is. Hey. This is not a drunken grease concert, all right? Like, you're looking good, bro. I'm wearing a large t-shirt. That is cool. If an SUV is cheaper, I'm still going to go for a hybrid because of my motivation. Boston Rob. I love the Republicans. I love the Democrats. You're obviously sexist and a horrible hate person. I might dance, Ashley. I mean, literally, like, my brain is blank. Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. I'm back. It's 920. Padre organization has sent down some reps to talk to us because they made some front page news. They were on the cover of the Union Tribune yesterday for what they're doing. I honestly thought it was like a misprint. I have questions. Please. I have questions. Who are we talking to? Jen? Are we talking to you, Jen? Yay. Jen from the Padres? She's all blondes now. Yeah. When did you do the blonde? Way more blonde. Love it. Shrink down here. Yeah. Blondes have more fun. I did the blonde, I think, in January. Well, it's good. You having more fun? Yeah. Ash wants to know, are you having more fun?
I'm having so much more fun, and I've had a lot of compliments. Usually guys say they like the blonde better, but... I really didn't notice. No, it's... Wow. Wow. I think it's beautiful. Thank you very much. I think you're beautiful no matter what your hair color is. That's right. I wasn't beautiful. People are just noticing that there's a difference. Oh, it's gorgeous. I'm sorry. I have a question. Yes, sir. Who thought of this? The oldest ideas? The five for five? Which one of the awesome ideas are you talking about? Five for five. Yeah, that's my favorite idea. Is it politically incorrect to ask who thought of it? Honestly, I don't know who thought of it. And I asked her this the other day as well. Because Eddie's taking credit. Is she being shy and modest and she thought of it? I did not think of it. I mean, I wanted to give her a compliment. I work with her all the time. She's my boss. Yeah. Was it Jody Garrett? It was me. Was it Jody Garrett? Eddie wants to know. It was Jake Peavy. Oh, wow. See, that guy's money. So this is what the Padres are doing. They're doing something. This was a front page of the Union Tribune yesterday because I've never heard anything like it, especially in these times. Five for five. A hot dog, a regular soda, popcorn, peanuts, and a cookie for $5. That's crazy.
Now, honestly, I was asking myself, what year do I think that actually would have been applicable? And honestly, I think those are probably prices from the 60s. I think probably from the 60s. Yeah, I mean, they're fantastic deals. Yeah. Oh, Mike, it's the Padres' 40th anniversary, so I'm probably thinking we're harkening back to 1969. Hello. We're bringing it back. Look at that. Hello. Wow, we're a big fan over here. Eddie, look at you. You figured it out. What's up, everybody? Look at that. You're having some class. That's right. Now you can do this. It's rare, I know. You can substitute a 16-ounce beer for that regular soda and pay $10 for all five items. Before, I believe, weren't just a beer $10? $85. Oh, no, no, no. Wait, no, no. $9. We actually blew up the $9 beer a couple days ago. Thank you for doing that. No, like literally blew up the beer. What do you mean? They actually brought some fireworks guys out and during our press conference, they blew up the beer. And I think Jen here knew what to expect. I myself was a bit startled, if you will, and that is put to me very mildly, when they blew up the beer, like nothing left. Wow. That's pretty awesome. Crazy.
So, yeah, the Padres, they really, they're calling it their value lineup. There's so many things. The time, because like in baseball, you have a lineup. What's up? I don't follow up. And so it makes sense. Now, check this out. The five for five, it's just, that's just one thing they're doing. They're also doing Coca-Cola value weekends. You get an upper reserve ticket, a hot dog and a Coke, all four only. $12 for any Friday through Sunday game. That's ridiculous. Oh my gosh. That's ridiculous. They limit you to eight tickets. Dude. That's really... I'm going to say this. It's weird. That's really weird. Well, let me tell you what else we do on that. Because Friday, every single Friday is, you're going to love this, Friday Friarworks. That wasn't my idea. It's a play on fireworks. I didn't come up with that. I didn't come up with that. I actually don't know. Did you come up with that? Danny. Danny Palomino. Oh, Danny. I knew it. Oh, he's so precocious. Yes. He's a little crazy like that. Good word. Thank you. This is great. Yeah. They have all you can eat seats? Well, it's Saturday. All fan giveaway.
So not only can you get the Coca-Cola, that means that every fan in attendance is going to get a premium item. You get giveaways. Giveaways. It's just fun little giveaways. I want towels and shirts and stuff like that. I want to know more about the all-you-can-eat seats. Oh, this is money. Well, it's all you can eat. Yeah. Hot dogs, veggie dogs, nachos, popcorn, ice cream for the weekend. No, sorry. Rob, come on, bro. They got the Padres 13-game flex plan. Oh, yeah. Flex 13, homie. You get to choose the 13 games you want. You get discounted tickets. So, good. Good deal. That's awesome. So, if you want to go to, like, all Giants games, you can just... Well, nobody would want that. Well, no, like, awesome people would want that. Nobody wants that. So, you could just do that. I understand. I'm just saying. It's an idea. It's an idea. I'm just throwing ideas out there. But you have to realize she's still drunk from last night at the art house. That is true. She parties. Let me tell you something. Reese is the word. I mean, you're supposed to be the sports guy. Yeah, Eddie, why didn't you mention that? This is all news to me. I had no idea. Eddie, you should have mentioned that today. See, I'm going to the Padre games for the Padres, not for the opposing players. That is fantastic. I appreciate that. Thank you. Jen. And a lie. Jen. Why is it that you and Eddie have such a tumultuous relationship? Why is that? I would not call it tumultuous. What word would you use then? Gregarious. Good one. Good one. Love. Hate. Just hold the love. What I told you to bring. You didn't tell me to bring anything. I did too. You did not. I am not wearing a costume. What did you tell her? Did you tell her to wear a costume? No, I said that we don't.
I said the only way you can come in is if you bring the fryer. Oh, that's right. I forgot. Why do I always make such ridiculous demands of her? He does. He kind of does. Tell her to do these bizarre things. Wear a sombrero. Wear a sombrero. It's because she does it. Yeah. Well, I value your show and I value being, you know, part of the show. So I want it. I do it for you guys because I want to spend more time with you guys. Where is the fryer? He's in the bathroom, Eddie. He's preparing for Friday fryer work. Oh, whatever. Oh, yes. I'm furious now. I went there. Yes. All right, let me read another one. Okay. Toyota Terrace Pavilion. Enjoy Padres game from select seating sections on the exclusive Toyota Terrace level, which I've sat there, and it's pretty cool. Yeah. Yeah, they got that, like, sushi bar and stuff up there. What's that place called? That sushi. West Winds. That place is cool. Yeah. Place is cool. That's good English. And you receive $20 worth of ballpark concessions and or merchandise. That's cool. Yeah, the ticket prices haven't gone up. You just get $20 to spend somewhere in the ballpark. So you can get five.
$5 value. Okay. Can you calm down? I'm going to eat. You could get four. You know what? Oh, wow. Sky, get her, Sky. Okay. You got me. Get her, Sky. You got me. Sorry. Wow. Nah, not your chunks. Hey. I have holidays, but someone would have called up and said it, so I just wanted to help you out. Well, you guys are good. Look at that smile on her face. We all get it. You guys are great. This looks like fun, and I encourage my listeners to take advantage of these savings because it's gnarly. Five bucks for a hot dog, a soda, popcorn, peanuts, and a cookie. Tickets go on sale on Saturday. Padres.com. We brought $5 vouchers for all of you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, that's what I want to ask you. Yes, sir. Okay, so how does that work? Are you selling vouchers or does it just... No, I'm sorry. When I said vouchers, I actually, we brought fryer funds so that for $5. Got it. So you guys can get a meal, but... Okay. No, I mean, you can just go up to the concession. And it's just, that's what it is. Yeah. And it works on which games can you do the $5 for fun? Mike. I don't understand what's happening. Mike.
Every single game, bro. Every game? Every game. Every home game. Every game. To the season of 09? Regular season. That's really crazy. Oh, look at that. Look at that. Listen. Do I need some support? Am I right? This isn't my first rodeo, okay? I know what's up. This is a rodeo? Practically. Okay. Eddie and Jen were having a very heated conversation off the air about sports. Yeah. It's fun to watch. It is. Eddie loves a Padre. He's very passionate about the Padres. I am a Padre fan. I am too. I am a Padre fan. And so, you know, this team is concerning me. I'll be honest. I hope that they prove me wrong and we win the World Series. That would be the greatest thing in my life. In your life? In my life. But you're about to have a baby. I know. I don't know what I'd be more excited about, the fact that we won the World Series, or the fact that you were wrong. Oh, great point. I would accept that. Wow. Oh, no. Oh, that's so fantastic. It's great.
There's more than just what's going on on the field. You know, you're coming with your family. It's the experience of going there. It is 100% about the experience. I mean, it really is. Hey, listen. If we were talking Qualcomm days, I would call you on that. But I can't call you on that because of where they are. It's one of the best ballparks, if not the best ballpark in America. It's a great experience. It's like Disneyland. It's a great experience. If they didn't win. Wait a second. You know what I'm saying, Mike? Did you just hear that? Not really. Okay. She should repeat it. I heard you, you nutcase. Crazy person. Wow. Happiest place on earth. Yeah, we got you. We got it the first time. It's like a staycation, but we actually get to another level. I like it. All right, Jim. Well, we love you and we thank you. And that was great. And we're going to get everybody to go do it. And I'm going to do it. That's pretty awesome. Oh, yeah. That's pretty awesome. That's a great deal. Five bucks. Are you kidding? It's nuts. Thank you, Padres. Thank you guys for having us in here. You guys are good. You fit me? Wow. We still have a lot to do. What is today? Thursday? You guys ready to take a vacation? Yeah. I need a cot. Not a cot. What do they call a hammock? That's what I need. A hammock. I'll get you a cot. It doesn't sound as nice as a hammock. Relax.
See, I said it now, and we go on vacation. My wife provides a cot for me. You can't smell it on my breath. It doesn't make me stumble around or pass out. It doesn't mess up my ability to drive. I don't wake up with a headache the next morning, but it gives me a tremendous buzz. I'm talking about gambling. I can't bet like most people. When I gambled and lost, I kept gambling. I loved the action, and I thought I could win it all back. Nobody could tell I had a problem. I wouldn't believe it. For a while, it was easy to hide. In the end, I lost more than money. I lost myself. I lied. I lost my job. I hurt everyone who cared about me. If the funds become something that's hurting you or your family, get help. Call 1-800-GAMBLER. That's 1-800-GAMBLER. I wanted to tell Mikey about Sleep Train. I got a deal there that will be anything I've ever heard on the radio, ever. You're the best. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, dude. Sleep Train's great. What did you get? What kind of mattress?
Okay, Simmons Beauty Rest. Isn't that what you have, Sky? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Simmons Beauty Rest. It was a $6,000 mattress they gave to me for half price. Whoa. That's awesome. And they threw in pillows, a sheet set, a bed frame, and a mattress pad. Word. What? For free. That's the way it goes at Sleep Train. That's true. Oh, I bet it's so freaking comfortable. Like a cloud. Oh, I want it. I love it. Lucky. All right. You're awesome. Thank you for calling. Okay. Now, back to Mikey. I text a lot, but I'm the farthest thing from him. Eddie. I gotta tell you, like, the older I get, the more and more I become into, like, history stuff. Sky. Um, you know, your friend's a little sensitive and isn't a big fan of violence. Boston Rob. I watch a lot of Food Network lately, and it's mostly because of you. And Ashley. I love my bangs, and they grow out so much.
It's so freaky. Save that clip. I know. Save that clip. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. It's 940. Michael Jackson do his thing yet, Sky, or no? No, it's weird. They just, like, on CNN, they say, any minute now. Yeah, because Michael Jackson's supposed to be doing a press conference from London where they think he's going to be announcing, like, you know, concerts that he's going to be doing. Yeah, in London. The rumor is 10 concerts in London this summer. That's it. That seems like I'd be a cool place to visit London. Yeah. Bob's been there. Oh, yeah. Twice. You like it? Love it. I've been there. Yeah. The architecture. You have? Mm-hmm. You went to London, Ash? Mm-hmm. I didn't know. I don't know anything about you. I don't either. Like, don't you find things out? She said she worked at a daycare today. I had no idea. She's been to London. Had no idea. Oh, yeah. I helped build a golden bridge as a welder. Yeah. I ran for Senate. Yeah. I'm a sandcastle builder in my spare time. Competitively. Yes.
Work at NASA on the nights. Well, we know that's not true. Okay, okay. He used to be a Sherpa. A Sherpa. Don't even know what that is. So, Michael Jackson's in the news for two reasons today. No positive. Yeah. Remember a while ago we told you how this auction house is auctioning off all this crazy Michael Jackson stuff? Yes, there's Star Wars stuff. Yeah, there's Star Wars stuff. There's artwork. There's, you know, like awards he's won. I don't care. He's got Star Wars stuff. Okay, that's cool, Eddie. Like life-size things of like Han Solo and stuff. Yeah. I know that the Star Wars stuff that he has, he's selling for pretty reasonable prices. Get on that, dude. Eddie. I want it, but I can't convince my wife to spend. Like a grand on a life-size carbonite on Soho. Let me convince you. Talk to me. You're about to have a kid. You don't have to convince me, bro. I'll buy it in a heartbeat. I'll tell you. I'll tell you. Let's go today. I'll tell you. Listen, this is a one-of-a-kind thing. First of all, I would understand if you were buying some knockoff thing, but this is the real deal. Which, if you do want a knockoff thing, we could talk after that. Yeah, yeah. He's got a thing that he runs out of his trunk.
So this auction is supposed to take place in April at Julian's Auction House, and Michael Jackson just filed a lawsuit to try and stop it. Why? He claims that the auction house was supposed to give him an inventory of all the items for sale, and then he would approve or deny them one by one. And he said that he was never provided the list, and they just posted everything. but I don't know how they would have got everything. Like, it doesn't really make sense to me. You know, if these people didn't hand them over, like, how do they even have them? They got it through you, Michael. But the lawsuit claims that the items are priceless and irreplaceable, and an attempt to sell them, thank you, is malicious, fraudulent, extreme, outrageous. You are outrageous and extreme. You are all of the things being described here. I am the Michael Jackson lawsuit. You are. So Julian's Auction House, as of this morning, had commented on the lawsuit. It's pronounced Julian. I'm just kidding. I just wanted to say something in Spanish. It's cool, Mike. We know you're Mexican. Thank you. I have to get it out there once in an hour. That's cool. Oh, look. The Obama girls got a new swing set yesterday. That is so sweet. It's made out of gold. Solid gold. No, it's not. This guy?
No, they came home from school yesterday and were surprised by their parents with the new swing set on the south lawn of the White House. It was, before you get all freaked out, it was paid for by Barack and his wife. It's not like the tax people payers. Whatever. It's made out of wood. It has a swing set that has four swings, a slide. I whittled it for you. A slide, a fort, a climbing wall, and climbing ropes. Sick. And then they also set up a picnic table next to it. Whatever. And it's on the south lawn? Yep. That's pretty cool. I hope that's not an eyesore. You do. Really? Really, you do? I don't want other nations looking at the White House going, oh, look at that swing set. Me either. That's a weakness. That's right. Because then they would think that we're a weak country. They could attack. That's odd. Play Red Rover. Will Smith called Ralph Macchio to get advice on Karate Kid. Don't do it, jerk. Yeah, that's what he said.
Yeah, well, Ralph Macchio actually has kind of, you know, spoken out before saying he was kind of disappointed in this and he doesn't really like it. He can't remake that. It's racist. You're a racist, Ralph Macchio. Why don't they just, Ralph, you're a racist, Ralph. But his comments had nothing to do with race. Man, he's a racist. They just need to get Ralph in the movie and do, instead of the Karate Kid, do the Karate Man. Yeah. And just, you know. Yeah, call it the Karate Man. Karate man. Now he's like 47 years old. What are you doing now? You still like golf and stuff? Yeah. I like it. You've watched the movie before. You know you want to go on those water slides? No, they look like fun. See? So distracted by Eddie wearing a baseball cap, which he never does. I love it. I love it. He never does. Pretty sweet, huh? Dude, you look money. Thank you. So Will Smith's son, Jaden, will star as the Karate Kid and Jackie Chan will be Mr. Miyagi. That's so bad. That is so racist. That is so bad. Man.
Yeah, so I guess Will Smith called Ralph Macchio and said, would you mind getting on the phone with my son Jaden? Yes, I would. Listen, you little jerk. Yeah, you little punk. You're not doing my role, buddy. I did this once and I did it correct. I'm pitching this idea called the karate man. That's awesome. I'll kick your ass. Senator Ted Kennedy. Given an honorary knighthood by the British Prime Minister. How about that? Well, it's about time. That's right. There you go, Ted. Why would we applaud that? I don't know. I don't know. He's American, right? He shows some respect. Why was he knighted? I don't know. So, the Prime Minister said that... The chap of Quiddick. Oh, wow. Hey, Mike, we try not to... We don't talk about certain things, okay? It was a one-nighter, right? It's like saying Bill Buckner. Yeah. You're forgiven. The prime minister said that Ted Kennedy has aided the process that brought peace to Northern Ireland and helped expand health care for Americans and improve access to education for children around the world. But it's an honorary. And he drank a lot. Yeah. So it's an honorary knighthood. To keep it from the kids. So he is not entitled to use sir before his name.
Because it's just honoring. Neither is Rob. So he's not certain. Brad Pitt's in Washington today to talk about New Orleans. He's meeting with Nancy Pelosi. Oh, boy. Yeah. That'll be a party. They're going to talk about support for his New Orleans charity, which is called Make It Right. And basically, they build environmentally sustainable housing for low-income people who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. Well, you know what I think is cool? People a lot of times go, what are you off adopting kids from other countries? Why don't you adopt kids from the United States? What are you off doing this and this and this? Why don't you do something in your own backyard? He actually does. Yeah, that's awesome. Mike, that's because Team Brangelina are the best. Eddie is Team Brangelina. Sky, rebuttal. What is Jen Aniston doing? Nothing, that's what. Oh, point Eddie. Sky, argument. She is inspiring songs by the great artist John Mayer. Oh, gross. Eddie. Eddie won. Yes. Whatever. Team Brangelina won. Let's be honest. Just for today. Just for today. Hey, we'll take it. Okay. Tune in tomorrow. Don't look at me with your hat. You love it. I love it. It is weird. I can't handle it. It is not weird. It is awesome. It is the weirdest. Let's see. Because Sky brought him up.
we're going to go out with a John Mayer song. Please say. What? How do you know that one? No, I mean, the gay guy told me that yesterday. I don't even know what it is, but let's hear it just in case it's cool. If that's one of them. If you're listening. We actually don't have that many songs by him. Eddie, you didn't like Free Fall and his live... cover-up. I hate it. I can't stand that. I don't like Tamir. I like him, but not Tamir. Really? Yeah, very. I think he's pretty funny. But he's a good singer. Yeah. And Jay's work. And he's using Jennifer. We can discuss that because you might have a point.
I want this one. What Hollywood starlet did John Mayer not go out with? Because I think he went out with every single one of them. Michelle Branch. That's the only one. Because she's a Hollywood starlet. Well, we were just telling you about this. The Padres have this amazing thing going on right now. Not only, you know, you got single-game tickets going on sale this Saturday at 9 a.m., but we were telling you, they got that great five-for-five deal where you can get a hot dog, a soda, popcorn, peanuts, and a cookie, all for just $5, any Padres regular season home game, which is just crazy. And you could substitute a 16-ounce beer for the soda and pay only $10 for all five of those items,
Come on. You know what it was like going to Major League Baseball games. I mean, it was outrageous. $9 for a beer. Now, for $10, you get the beer, hot dog, popcorn, peanuts, and a cookie. I mean, that's crazy. It's just crazy. Plus, they got Padres two-for-one days where you can get two tickets for the price of one in four select seating sections. They have that all-you-can-eat section, which is unbelievable. They got the Padres Flex 13 plan where you can choose 13 Padres home games you want to attend in select seating categories. You can save up to 24% over game day prices. It is just absolutely outrageous. So the Padres, they got it going on. I give them all the credit in the world. Hopefully, the team will show up. There it is. That's P1 Giants fan. Thank you, Giants fan. Appreciate it. Let's see. So Michael Jackson made the announcement, you guys. Oh!
What'd he say? Well, Michael Jackson, surprisingly enough, was more than 90 minutes late. Oh, boy. And was he in his pajamas? Right. To make an announcement that lasted less than three minutes. Oh, wow. And he basically announced what was speculated, a 10-show run at LA's O2 Arena. 10 shows. Los Angeles? What? London. London. What did I say? LA. Oh, no. That would be a lie. No. That is erroneous. In Chicago. At Houston's Reliant Stadium. From the moon. London's O2 Stadium. Which I've never heard of. You've heard of that? Oh, yeah. O2 Stadium? O2 Arena? Yeah. They've had UFC events there. It is an arena. Oh, it's an arena. Yeah. So he's not playing like a big stadium. It's not like Wembley Stadium. No, it's an arena. Someone should have said that. He's announcing that he's going to do some arena dates? He's doing 10. All at the same place. All at the same place, and he's referring to it as his final curtain call. Hey, listen, I'd see it.
I really would. Yeah, so, I mean, you can take from that that that's the last time he's ever going to perform in public. But being Michael Jackson, please, like, who knows what to believe. But that was the big announcement. Ten shows this summer in London, all at the same venue. I'd love to go to that. Dude, we... Eddie, were you there when we saw Michael Jackson in Vegas? No. That was... Sky, were you there when I was left on the show that was there? Yeah. Crazy. Ridiculous, bro. We're in Las Vegas and we're broadcasting from Radio Row from a broadcast they do out there every year. And they come on the loudspeaker. And they're like, attention guests of the radio broadcast, please assemble in the Hollywood room right next to you. Michael Jackson would like to say thank you and we'll be there in five minutes. We're like, wow, okay. And so obviously we're like... You know, everybody rushes over there. And I am sitting down on the floor on my buns with my arms back. Like, and I'm not kidding you. I'm here. Me and Sky, you were there. Yeah, we were pretty close. It was like from where I am to where Rob is, you know, which is about 10 feet. And like, it was kind of one of these weird cheesy radio things. So like.
You know, part of me was expecting a Michael Jackson impersonator to walk in. Like, when they made the announcement, I was like, oh, yeah, sure, okay, here comes Michael Jackson. Like, okay, yeah. No, it was him. Yeah, it was like an empty ballroom, like no chairs or anything. Weird. And we're just kind of sitting there. And he got a microphone. Yeah. And he's like, I just wanted to say specifically to all of you in radio, I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you've done throughout the years. And we're like. So we're all sitting there looking at him. We're like, that's Michael Jackson. That was really trippy. Took a picture of him with my phone. Yeah. Well, most people were like standing like some of the people in the front were kind of like sitting. At the man in the mirror. Yeah, that's true. That is correct. I was wondering if he was black or white. Yeah, there was a lot of people wondering that. Some people in the front were kind of kneeling, kind of like we were, kind of kneeling, sitting. But most of the room was standing. And then was it one of his new videos or like clips from children in Africa or something? But he wanted to show us this thing he'd been working on. So when they go to roll it, Michael sits in front of everybody on the floor, Indian style. Just sitting there.
Indian style. That's so great. In the middle of the ballroom. And we're like, is this really happening? I wouldn't expect anything less. Very childlike. Oh, it was so childlike. Really crazy. Oh, yes. Well, you know, different. Very different. You know, whatever. Doesn't happen every day. Fast and Furious Loud and Proud happening at the radio station next Wednesday. If you have a car that is loud and proud, we want to see you here. What do you win? The grand prize winner. is going to get to go to Fast and Furious, the L.A. premiere, with the stars of the movie. They'll be there. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez. He is hot, Paul Walker. He's so hot, Eddie. Vin Diesel? No, Paul Walker. Well, he's not bad, but I'm talking about Paul Walker. And Grand Price winner will also get tickets to the after party. Oh, my gosh. She gets to meet Paul Walker. Partly Paul Walker. Okay. Oh, my gosh. Paul Parker. Paul Parker. That's crazy. That's right. So, how about that? Yeah. I'm sorry. I was looking up at the television and was distracted by a story of a man that was hit by a freight train and a truck and survived. What? Did you see it? No. Is it Bruce Willis? It must be. He's unbreakable. I did hear he was. So, next Wednesday. By the way, you'll be judged. Your car will be judged on sound, appearance, and Mikey show flair. Make that sucker loud, man. Sweet.
It should be cool. A vroom vroom. Can you not do that? Okay. It's a big deal. Well, it's weird when you do that. What was so weird about it? Everything. Vroom vroom. Vroom vroom. Okay. You want to debate the Prop 8 thing again? No, I'm good, but thank you. What is Obama's plan to help struggling homeowners? What's he going to do? What are you going to do? I want to know what you're going to do. Okay, so yesterday the Obama administration gave the details of this plan that will help some 9 million struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure. Now, the plan comes in two parts. One part is working with lenders to modify loan terms, and the other one is refinancing loans into more affordable loans. So the way it works for the loan modification... Basically, borrowers will have to explain to their lenders why they're facing financial hardship, give examples like job losses, taking a cut in income, and then they can work out deals to modify loans. How is that different from anything that's going on right now? You can do that now.
Well, I think, don't hold me to this, but I think the Obama administration has put money aside and is giving incentives to the banks to do this. Whereas before they'd be like, oh, no, you know, you weren't good. You don't need to do that. They're, you know, they're making it happen. And the other is the refinance program, which basically homeowners who are in good standing, whose loans, now this is the part, whose loans are held by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Those are the only lenders that will qualify. What about people like the rest of the world or the rest of the country? Don't yell at me. And then of those Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. What about loans from Freddie Mercury? Yeah, what about that? I didn't know he did loans. If you owe more than 5% of what your home is valued at, you won't qualify for that. Freddie Prince. What about you? Freddie Prince Jr. So that sucks. So for more information, you can go to the website ustrej.gov. No, you were right the first time. Al Gore. It is Al Gore. This is from the Jimmy Fallon show. It's from Jimmy. You're going to learn to love him. I watched some of it yesterday. I have a TVR. I have a TVR. I love him. Here's Cameron Diaz talking about meeting.
parents with their kids. I went to the 4G Shrek thing and I heard your voice. I was like, I totally thought like you, but these kids are just in love with you. Well, they don't know it's me. It's Fiona. And it's sort of like Sesame Street. Now that we've completely ruined it for everyone, what Sesame Street is, you know, it's the same thing when kids meet me and them parents go, that's Fiona. And the kids are... When you're fat and green. I sometimes get mad at parents when they do that. I'm like, no. Don't tell them that. Where do you guys stand on that one? I still don't like them. I agree with Cameron. That's not cool to do to kids. Yeah, you want to say that's, well, no, honey, that's Cameron Diaz. She plays Fiona. But don't you want to hear the voice? Yeah, I do. Hey, can you do the voice? I would make up some cool lie, like, oh, well, no, this is her, like, you know, alter fake, like, real person ego so people don't get scared. I like the cool lie as opposed to the uncool lie.
That's a good point. Let's see. All right, you guys ready to debate Prop 8 one more time? Yeah. There we go. I love the gays. Good times. The mayor says San Diego is going to get $6 million for a stimulus plan to help people that are on the brink of homelessness. Yeah, so this is all part of the big stimulus package. There you go, Rob. I know. So $6 million will go to San Diego to people that are at the risk of becoming homeless. The money will provide immediate housing assistance, short-term rental help, relocation help, and will also help pay for security and utility deposits. How do I apply? For the whole thing. You want one of each? No, it's not six mil. Oh, okay. I'll be fine after that. 570-1053 is our phone number. Hey, you know, it's been a couple weeks ago, but you guys were talking about all the Disney films. And I know, Jake, maybe you're not in that phase where the kid films are sticking in your head all the songs. But The Little Mermaid, Under the Sea, has been stuck in my head forever. And I woke up at 5 o'clock the other morning, And I've got all these crazy lyrics in my head, and it had to do with a little bit of Sky. Yeah. I was wondering if you might want to hear the song. Yeah. Do you know, are you familiar with the tune that's Under the Sea? Of course. Is it a jaw? Yes. Okay, you want me to go for it? Uh-huh. Okay. You smoked weed when it was greener, and most days you were half-baked. You sit with the door cracked open. What's up, girl, for goodness sake? Just look at the cats around you. They're there, why? I'm not quite sure.
There must have been something open. Oh, yes, it's the bathroom door. When sky takes a pee. When sky takes a pee. The kitties are open. The door is cracked open. It's so plain to see. Lost? Yep. Of course I did. Eddie, what'd you think? Yes. Was it bad? It was a good episode. I still have these mixed feelings because they still are giving us more questions.
and more things that need to be explained, then, like, it's so mind-boggling. Like, it hurts my head to watch it. Well, maybe you need to think a little bit more. What do you think of that? I don't even know. She's still drunk. I don't. Hey, Eddie. Yeah, man. But then Juliet was successful of delivering a birth for the first time on the island. Yeah. Juliet Bulia. What about it? So I'm thinking Daniel is going to tell her what's up, and that's what she told Daniel before she died, remember? That he told her that he was explaining about the island to her and everything. What? I don't understand. Do you understand? I don't understand. I'll tell you what. I didn't watch. I want you to put your thoughts down on paper because sometimes it helps to put your thoughts down on paper. And so I want you to put your thoughts down on a piece of paper, okay? And then throw it away. But then you have the information in your head, and then you call us back. Okay. You've got to write it down first. I like it. You've got to get it all out on paper. I do that. It's really good to verify the thoughts, yeah. Thank you, Mike. It was a trippy episode. I'll definitely say that. P1 Diet Cokehead's on the line. What's going on? I got the first installment of my stimulus money. Look at you. Good for you. $20 buys a lot of Chewbacca paper. That's right.
That's right. Hey, have we met P1 Diet Cokehead? I don't believe so, no. I don't think we have. I actually met. Sky just had a look like, what are you, are you kidding? Like we have met her before. We have not. I met Eddie back in the day when he was a puff Eddie. Really? At Star? Uh-huh. I met him and Brian. Eddie, how about that? I don't want to ask where. Those were some fun days. At the wild aminal park. Oh, yeah. Aw. That's cool. Are you going to the P1 party tomorrow night? Indeed I am. We'll hang out with you there. Dave and Buster's tomorrow night, 7 o'clock. There it is. There it is. By the way, Eddie is going to be reenacting his squirrel incident today. I don't. It will be videotaped. It better be accurate or else I will walk off the set. Rob will be playing the part of the squirrel in costume. And Martin Sky C's over here. That's right. Martin Sky C's. And we're going to put it on the website. It's going to be fantastic. We'll see. Lovely and talented Missy is up next today. She got lost and found.
