This show covers Eddie Nails Dad's Stew, The Burnt Almond Cake Fiasco, Stimulus Check Rumor Debunked, I Sit on You.
What happened, in order
Eddie Nails Dad's Stew
Eddie said he perfectly recreated his father's chicken wine stew by browning the chicken, simmering it in wine, and flavoring the oil with rosemary and garlic.
The Burnt Almond Cake Fiasco
Skye feared a confused bakery order would ruin her husband's requested burnt almond birthday cake, so she planned to secretly overnight the real cake from San Jose and present both.
Stimulus Check Rumor Debunked
P1 Chris relayed a tax preparer's claim that 2008 stimulus checks would reduce future refunds, but Zeth found an IRS answer explicitly saying they would not.
I Sit on You
The crew mock-seriously analyzed the repetitive novelty song "I Sit on You" as if its blunt lyrics about sitting on someone's lap or head were profound art.
Horton Is Not the Grinch
Mikey asked whether Horton and the Grinch were the same Dr. Seuss character, prompting increasingly exasperated comparisons to confusing Santa with the Easter Bunny or Darth Vader with Indiana Jones.
Sean Revives Banacek
For Sean TV, Sean enthusiastically recapped a Banacek mystery about a stolen crucifix while Mikey and the others heckled the obscure insurance-investigator drama.
Boston Rob's Madden Upset
Boston Rob's Patriots beat Eddie's Chargers 49-20 in Madden 08, leaving Eddie to blame unfamiliar Xbox controls and accept a ridiculous-costume punishment.
Zeth Cancels His Own Birthday
After friends rearranged childcare, work, driving, and visitors for Zeth's birthday dinner, Mikey discovered that Zeth had canceled it without telling anyone because Rebecca and Ashley could not attend.
Spitzer Resigns
The show played Eliot Spitzer's apology and resignation over the prostitution scandal, then discussed Ashley Dupré's background and sudden attention for her music career.
Tori's Knife Confession
Tori Spelling said she carried a knife when first meeting Mary Jo Eustace, the estranged wife of Dean McDermott, because she feared a confrontation over their affair.
Kilpatrick and the Hate Mail
After Kwame Kilpatrick condemned racist threats and a media "lynch mob," Mikey argued that the abuse was wrong but that emphasizing race also diverted attention from Kilpatrick's cheating scandal.
The Last Meal Draft
A grim statistic about prisoners' final words turned into a comic roundtable in which the hosts and callers assembled extravagant last meals from favorite restaurants and comfort foods.

Welcome to the show. It is 6-0-6. Geraldine Ferraro has stepped down from the Clinton campaign after she made controversial comments about Barack Obama. The Houston Rockets win their 20th straight game last night, tying an NBA record held by Milwaukee from 1971. Oh, my. The phone number here is 570-1053. And you can call us at the beginning and end of every show. It's an open phone segment. And it's about anything you want. You can talk about TV, you can talk about anything going on. You can ask questions, you can do whatever. Today is a pretty big day around here. We're doing a little thing called the Eddie B. Rob Challenge. And I don't know, I think the reason that it's going to be so incredible today is that when we used to do this in the past, you know, people were encouraged to come down and watch depending on where we were for the challenge. Like sometimes the challenge would be here at the
radio station other times the challenge would be at like a baseball diamond or something like that today it's going to be here at the radio station in a performance studio but can view it online eddie and b rob are going to be playing uh madden 08 against each other today and uh eddie is good at uh video games some may say great he finishes some of these games in like a couple of days I said great. Oh, nice. Eddie's got on a t-shirt. It's very retro, and it says gamer. Nice. Shaking in my boots over here. Oh, really? Where's your gamer shirt? I'm not a nerd. You say that now. You kind of need to be good at video games, Rob. That's right. You don't have to be. A little bit. Some people are just talented. You're also not a winner, I guess.
I think Rob's right. I mean, that doesn't apply to him, but some people are, yes. Anyway, so they're going to be playing a game of Madden 08 against each other, and you can go online and actually watch the game on your computer as the game is happening. On the air, as you're listening, as you're driving to work, you're going to hear us tap into the audio of the game, so you're going to be able to not only hear all of the sound effects and everything coming from the game, but we're going to put headsets. on Boston, Rob and Eddie, so that when they play, you can hear their smack talk. All of us will be in there and we will be doing the commentary on the game. And I want to let people know that if you want to watch it on the website, you just type in keyword webcam. It's very easy. You know where the keyword section is? You go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. If you go to MikeyShow.com in the keyword section,
Just type in the word webcam and it'll take you right to where you need to be. But listen, we made sure that everybody is going to be able to enjoy this in one way or another today. Either if you're listening in front of a computer or whatever, we will dial you in. 570-1053 is the number. Open phones. Anything you want. You can call in and say hi. You can talk about whatever. And I'm going to do a quick introduction. I want to let you know who everybody is on the show. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. There are seven people. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, and Zeth. There's a lot of us. I'm the host. Eddie does sports and he's our producer. Sky's our news girl. Sean does sound effects. Ashley's our assistant producer. Boston Rob screens phone calls. He's also a singer-songwriter. That's unusual. Yeah, that's right. And so he does some of that. Today he's doing a challenge against Eddie. And whoever loses today is going to have to wear a ridiculous outfit tomorrow at Joe's Crab Shack in Mission Valley when we do our P1 lunch. It'll be from noon to one tomorrow. And it's going to be in Mission Valley. We want everybody to come out there. Anybody that's listening can come.
This is not a, you have to have a special invitation or you have to win or whatever. Anybody that wants to come can come at Joe's Crab Shack tomorrow and see the loser of today's contest out there wearing something ridiculous. Good times. It should be fantastic. So, how's everybody doing? Eddie, did you, Eddie is like me in that he kind of likes to cook. And right before we went on the air, he was saying something about it, but then we had to go on. That last night you were making something that your dad actually makes. Well, my dad, to me, is one of the best cooks ever. Well, it's a fact. He's a great cook. And I've tried to pick up on different things that he makes, and I try to duplicate it and stuff like that. And sometimes I can do a good job, sometimes I can't. Well, last night I did one of his recipes to a tea. What was it?
His chicken wine stew. Oh, dude. With that white rice that has like the celery. Is that the alborio rice? The round kind of rice? No, it's just normal rice. Yeah, but it's a specific kind of way he makes it. And top to bottom, I made it perfect. Wow. Which I was like, wow, that was cool. Dude, I remember having that at Eddie's house growing up. And it was one of the greatest things ever. Like, just very... Basically, what does it involve? My dad cooks. He doesn't care how it looks or whatever. It's all about flavor. As long as everything has good flavor, it's really easy. It's just like chicken, and you cook wine down, and you make a sauce out of it, basically. Now, is it like chicken on the bone, right?
Well, you can do it anyway. He used to use those little drumettes like you'd use for hot wings or whatever. You can do it like that. You can just cut up breasts. You can do it with any piece of chicken. And what does he do? He fries it, right? He browns it, and then you basically pour wine in there and simmer it for like a half an hour. So, I mean, it just soaks up tons of flavor. He actually has this real cool trick where... When he heats up the oil before you put the chicken in, he puts a sprig of rosemary in there and a clove of garlic to flavor the oil. And then he takes it out of there, and the oils just taste like this crazy goodness. And then you thicken up the sauce, you know, however way you want it. You know, you put butter in there, and you could also, in like a separate bowl, mix some of the pan juices with flour. Mm-hmm. And, like, mix it up and then pour it back in there, and it, like, thickens up the sauce, and it's, like, crazy, man. How'd your wife like it? Oh, dude, she was like, I think you need to make this once a month. Oh, man. Yeah, well, we'll be gigantic fatzos, but it might be worth it. Skye is our news girl. Hi. And she, what is going on, Skye? Why is, why? The burnt almond cake adventure is not.
It's not working out so well, Mike. Skye's husband's birthday is coming up. All he wants for his birthday is a burnt almond cake. Oh, well, that's simple, Mike. Shut up. Just a cake. And you figure after forgetting. I didn't forget. I did not forget. Last year, Skye. It was fine. I may have double booked, but I didn't forget. Double screwed up. That's right. Skye, what is a burnt almond cake? What is it? Well, there's this bakery in San Jose where we're from and that's where he's had it before and he loves it. So I don't know how they make it compared to the recipes I've seen on the internet. But on the internet, it's like a white cake and then it has this...
What's the stuff that you put inside a pastry? What's that called? The like creamy stuff that you put inside? Thank you. It has like a custard type filling. And then you make some sort of brittle. you know like peanut brittle you make a brittle like out of honey and sugar and stuff like that and then that's a very thin layer in there too and then it's a white cake with like a custard white frosting with uh surrounded in uh you know roasted almonds and then drizzled with honey that sounds like the greatest cake i've ever heard sounds pretty good i can't wait to have that on friday oh yeah well yeah me they should call it the diabetes cake but it sounds really good So I go to this bakery that people have told me is really good. And I went to their website and they had like a billion cakes on there, but not a burnt almond cake. And then they said on their website that they can make like any cake to order. So I go in there and start talking to this guy. And so I'm talking to him. And at one point, I'm not even sure if he's like understanding what I'm saying. But he was nodding and acting like he understood what I was saying, but didn't understand. Oh, you want a white cake?
Basically what I believe I'm going to get because I ordered it because I couldn't just walk out of there and be like, you know, like a smart person would be like, oh, you know what? This guy's not getting it. I'm good. But I was already like committed at that. And I'd be too embarrassed to be like, oh, no, thank you. You have like looked it up online and printed out a recipe or something for him. What I actually did is. Because when I'm in the store and I'm grasping that he's not getting what I'm saying because he's asking me if I want, like, blueberry filling and stuff. Oh, no. Oh, no. I call my mom, and I have her recite me the recipe, and I'm reciting it back to him, and he's just sitting there nodding. Oh, no. He's not writing anything down. No, not anything. Not anything. Is he kind of foreign? I believe he's a Hispanic gentleman. That's correct. Did he speak English or broken English? Well, he didn't speak very much. And when he did speak, you know, his English was fine, a thick accent, but, you know, I definitely understood what he was saying. I guarantee you that as soon as you left, he told somebody in Spanish.
She just ordered a carrot cake with blueberries. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. For sure. So I think when I pick it up, what it's going to be is a white cake with white frosting with almonds on the outside. So I don't know. Because I told my husband, let me just order it from San Jose and have them overnight it. Let me just do that. And he said no. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Why are you telling him? You do it, but make it a surprise. Because he wanted to be involved. Like, he wanted to be involved in the finding of the cake. Yeah. Because I told him, I was on my way home from work, and I said, oh, you know, I'm going to go to the bakery, blah, blah, blah, so I'll be home a little late. And he goes, you know what, I want to go with you, blah, blah, blah. And then after the fiasco with the guy at the bakery, I said, you know what, I'm just going to order one from San Jose and have them overnight it. And he said, no, it's going to cost too much.
It's going to be too much of a hassle. It's not worth it. But I think I'm just going to do it anyway. I'm just going to pay like a million dollars to have a cake overnight from San Jose. Now, it's good now. He's not expecting it. He don't think you're going to do it. No. So I think I'm just going to call him right after the show and try and get because this. Don't tell him though. No. And even though I've already ordered and will pick up and pay for the cake from the San Marcos. Double cake. Double. Yes. Give him the cake that you're buying there as if it's going to be the cake. And when he's really disappointed, you whip out the other one and go, ha ha, you got punked. Happy birthday. Yeah, so we'll see what happens. I heard he wants a bunch of chocolate chip cookies, too. Rod, that's your order. Yeah, there it is. Now, I'm reading something here. A P1 is calling in. Hey, listen. Sometimes we get input from listeners, but I don't know if it's true. I can't verify it, but I love to let people give their input. So I will let this person say their stuff, and maybe there's somebody listening that can either confirm or deny. Okay. But let's talk to P1 Chris. Chris, are you there? Hey, what's going on, guys? What's going on, man? What do you do for a living, Chris? I don't know.
I'm actually a journeyman pipe fitter hooking up for industrial air conditioning systems. Okay, now this is not necessarily in the field that you're going to be talking about, but I'm going to be really interested to hear where you acquired the following information. Go ahead. All right. I went to go file my taxes with my tax guy, and he had a printout from a guy that he knows that kind of researches what goes on with taxes and stuff like that through Congress and all this kind of stuff. And he had a thing that was emailed to him. about the tax checks that we're all supposed to be getting that are supposed to be issued, I guess, in May if you're married or whatnot. It's like $1,200 if you have a child and so forth. Yeah, it's the big thing to stir the economy. The government sent out a bunch of checks to a bunch of people and it's supposed to get us to spend those checks and get the economy rolling. Exactly. But what's going on, they found out that the tax checks that you're actually going to be getting are basically in advance in your following year when you file taxes. So when you get your tax check in the following year for 2009 or whatever it is, you're actually going to be minus what your advance was when you get your check in May. All right. So just to make it extraordinarily clear on what he is, what he's saying is, hey, listen, Ashley, Rob, Zeth, whoever else is going to be getting these checks. When you get the check, let's say it's for $500 next year in 09 when you do your taxes, if you were due a refund.
of $1,000, they're going to deduct the check you're getting in May. That's what he's saying. I don't know that that's true. I don't know that it's true. What's that, Rob? You said it better not be. Well, sure, that doesn't sound that great to me. No. You know what I mean? But maybe there's somebody listening right now that is an accountant or they know what's up. Tax expert. And they can confirm and say, yeah, P1 Chris is absolutely right. That is the way that it works. Or they say, nope, that's not what's going on. It's kind of right, but whatever. Somebody call us, 570-1053. Thank you, Chris. I appreciate it. All right, Mike. Have a good one. You know, because sometimes in the translation, something gets a little lost. It's kind of there, but not quite. Go ahead, Skye. Well, I just Googled it, and I found an article that says that sometime on Friday, A piece entitled, Treasury Chief Tax Rebates and Checks Go Out in May, included the following passage. This has been passed, blah, blah, blah. You'll get this refund, blah, blah, blah. Quote, the checks are in advance on next year's refunds. And most, if not all of the money, will be deducted from the taxpayers' refunds in 12 months' time. And then it goes on to say, if you click now, today, on the link to the article, that passage is now nowhere to be found in that article.
So it was posted on the Internet. It was part of an article, which has now been deleted. I wonder if it was BS, and that's why they're getting rid of it. One thing that doesn't make sense to me is, let's say, for example, you get $500, and you file next year, and you come out with zero balance. You don't owe any. You're not going to get any back. Do you then have to pay $500? Yeah, what about that? I mean, people would freak out. What about that? Now, it's going to be tough to take phone calls saying that this is true now. I'll tell you why. Why? Because if, you know, Sky may have just found the answer is that, well, maybe there's something there, but they're taking it down now. Right. You know? Yeah. I wonder. Now I wonder why they're taking it down. Yeah, it was a CNN article, and now that passage has been deleted from the article. Ah. P1 Monica. Oh, yeah. Hi. Good morning. This is Monica. Hi. Hi. My husband and I just did our taxes, and we asked about that, and our tax man said, yes, that is the case. That will be the case. Wow. I wonder why they would take the article down. Well, I actually wasn't listening to your article. I turned down my radio. No, you're a good P1. You're a good P1. Thank you so much. Sounds fishy. It does. Well, it sounds...
Really, it's a very... Because how could they give us money that we didn't even ask for but be taking it out of our own pockets without letting us know that? We're not asking. You know, that doesn't sound... Do you want this? Do you not? Especially that whole, well, hey, I didn't owe any money. Now I do? Now I've got to pay you 500 bucks? I've got to write a check for 500 bucks? I thought I was supposed to spend that money and spur the economy on. Gotcha. Oh, great. Great. Great, President Bush. Uh-oh. Look, everybody, it's President Bush here to explain what happened. Well, look over here, Micah. Wait a minute. I got some spinning plates. Wait, President Bush. That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. Oh, no. I want to know what I want to know. How about that stripper guy getting kicked off on Idol last night? No, no, no. Change the subject. Wait a minute. What's the weather like down there, President Bush? Wait a second. Why would you give us money and then say we owe it? We didn't ask for it. Oh, boy. That's not right, President Bush. Well, it was Cheney. Thank you. It's President Bush. P1 Isaac. Isaac, are you there? Come on, Isaac. P1 Tara. Yeah. What's up? How's it going? Good. Read a article.
On the Drudge Report, when the news that first came out that they were doing the rebate, and it was a link to, it wasn't a CNN article or anything like that. I remember it was, I think it was like a My Way article or something, and it explicitly said that that was the point of the article saying don't fall into the trap of the rebate check that it, you know, to go and spend the money because you're really just spending your own money to save the money because it's going to be yours. You're going to need it for next year's taxes. Okay, let me, I'm just going to throw this out there. I'm just going to throw this out there. There's a reason that I'm skeptical that it's true. And the reason that I'm skeptical that it's true is because the mainstream media is extraordinarily liberal and love to point out how... stupid president bush is yeah we like that it's just so funny yeah and easy it's good times and so they do you know encourage one another in the mainstream media don't forget we got to make fun of president bush and so they i'm sure they send out an email every day so they would get the email and they'll be like oh yeah that's right
we got to talk about this stupid gaffe that he made with this big stimulus package. So it's just interesting to me that we're not hearing it everywhere. And it would also make sense to me that tax people would be telling their people that. And the reason I say that is because tax people are people. They're just people. And so they can be just as gullible as the rest of us if that's the deal. Go ahead. Zeth, I just went to the IRS website. Ooh, I like you. And there's a question and answer section. It says, will the payment I received in 2008 reduce my 2008 refund or increase the amount I owe? And it says, no, the stimulus payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your next tax return. Look at this kid. Wow. There you go. Straight from the horse's mouth. This is what I believe then. What? It's just a stupid thing that somebody thought up. That would be funny and fun to spread. And tax people are telling their people that. And the reason they're telling people that is because they're people, those tax guys. They're just as gullible as the rest of us. They just read it somewhere like anybody else would. They read it, thought it was true because they read it and didn't necessarily read it from the most reliable source. But they were like, hey, you know what? It was on the internet. Everything's true on the internet. Exactly. I've heard that.
Exactly. So, you know... Well, cool. I mean, if that's coming from the IRS website, I'm apt to believe it, but, you know, who knows? Let's see. P1 Ghetto Grandma is on the line. Hi, Ghetto Grandma. Hello. Good morning. Good morning. Well, I'm calling because I listen to two tax attorneys on Fox Radio. Uh-huh. And... You guys kind of already got the answer now, but they're not going to take your money back. Basically, you have to claim that refund check as income for 2008 because it actually is income. That makes sense. And they also said to keep the letter that you get that tells you what you're getting in return because it's really supposed to be based on your 08 income that you haven't filed yet. So they're giving it to you off your 07. So if, say, in 07, you have a baby or something happens and you're a couple in 08, you can say that I only got the 600. Now I have a kid that I'm claiming for 08, and you'll get an additional $600. Nice. Thank you very much. You're welcome. I appreciate it. Yeah, whenever you hear something and it seems very extreme, it doesn't mean that it isn't true. It could very well be true if it's extreme. It could. It could very well be true.
But I think that it could be prudent if you hear something really extreme to go, well, I'm not closing my mind to the fact that this extreme thing is true. I just want to check it out. Like Gary Cherone from Extreme. He was pretty extreme on his own. I would say he was extreme. That's all I'm saying. What about Nuno Betancourt? Now you're just name dropping. Now he's just showing off. Why is he doing that well? I think because he's gearing up to beat Boston Rob in just a little bit. That's my take. The last time we did Sean TV, we learned about this gem. This is what I do. I sit on you. Sit on you. Sit on you. This is what I do. I sit on you. Right on your lap. So who knows what will happen today? Are we going to like it, Sean? Is that what you're saying? Mike, you are going to love it. Sean TV is nervous. Would you like to send us a text? We're reading your text, man, right here on the air. Text us at 35253. And some old woman come up and patted me on the head and said, I think it's wonderful they hire people like you. I like doing all that shopping stuff. I enjoy it. Walmart's my favorite store to go to. I like the Walmart. That's right. All the uptight political crack folks, they don't like Walmart. They don't pay good wages at Walmart. I got an idea. Don't work at freaking Walmart. How's that sound like that? He said, I like, well, you can get anything you want at the Walmart. They just opened up in our Walmart two dentist offices. We did. I ain't kidding with you. Lying, crying, I ain't shed a tear. We got two dentist offices in there. Got a regular dentist and an express dentist for folks with 15 teeth or less in there. We got the whole day. This is the Mikey Show. Yeah, I love the Mikey Show. You know what? You guys are awesome. I do, too. I appreciate you every day. Thank you, brother. That's pretty awesome. And did they take your... Well, wait a minute. If you were moving, did they have to take your set or did you get rid of it yourself? No, I got rid of it myself. So they bring the new one in. Did they set it up for you? They set it up for me within like five minutes. And how did it feel that first night? Just like being in heaven. That's awesome, man. That's pretty... That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, I tell people about Sleepton. Did they give you a good price? Oh, yeah, dude. I went in there that... after the promotion about getting everything for free and everything for free. And after I told him that Mikey sent me personally, he knocked off 700 bucks. That's awesome. All right, brother. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, dude. Talk to you later, man. Sleep change your ticket to a better night's sleep. The Mikey Show continues featuring the very cool Mikey. I am not cool. Eddie. I cannot be touched when I'm sleeping. I am a massage whore, as we all know. Sean. Lately, I've been really obsessed with cleaning in between my fingers. Boston Rob. I love rocking a toothpick, and I never buy them. I get them from restaurants. Ed Ashley. Above and beyond. The Mikey Show on Rock 105.3. Hey, guys, I finally... It was time. In typical Mikey fashion, none of it goes smooth.
It is 6.39. Since Janet Jackson has the flu, Mariah Carey has agreed to be her replacement this weekend on Saturday Night Live. Well, San Diego already has one team in the tournament. Now it's the Aztec's turn. They play Air Force in the first round of the Mountain West tournament this afternoon. So just want to let you know what a P1 is. A P1 is a Mikey Show listener. So whenever you hear the word P1, people are calling in saying, hey, it's P1 Jim, P1 Karen, whatever. Know that a P1 is a Mikey Show listener, and when they call in, they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. That's a P1. And we are doing a P1 lunch, and we're going to be doing that tomorrow from noon to one, Mission Valley. We're going to be at Joe's Crab Shack, and everybody listening right now is invited to come down there and check it out.
Want to read our blogs? Go to the website, MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and type in the word blogs to the keyword section, and it'll take you right to it. Some of your text messages are coming in. This one says, Eddie51Patriots14, whoop that Boston boy. Signed, P1ChuckyChuck. Next one says, Hey, it's P1Zector. Just wanted to let you guys know that you rock. I'm secretly listening to you guys at work and it's worth the risk. I'm telling you, man, those jobs where they don't let you listen at work and you got to sneak the radio. I mean, I would just say quit. If that's the deal, just get out of there. Run, don't walk. Next one says, hey, I just got that sit on you song. Ha ha, I just got that sit on you song out of my head. Thanks for the reminder. Now it's back. P1S dub.
And a lot of people have said, what is that? Some people have written us or text messaged us and said, what is that, that song? It's just a fantastic work of art. That's all it is. It's just a fantastic. There's no explanation really for it. It's a hit. Can I tell you? This is what I do. I sit on it on your lap. I mean, what's hard to understand? It's all right there. This is what I do. I sit on it. Sit on it. This is what I do. I sit on it. A lot of people say, well, I don't get it. Okay, well, I mean, please. I think the idea here is that this guy is just trying to share some information with you. He's writing about what's in his heart. What's in his heart. And what he's been sort of compelled to do is sit on you. That's his thing. You know, the music is in him and it's just got to come out. Right.
And I think that in the lyrics, he also is trying to let you know that he recognizes that you're curious as to where, you know, on me. Oh, yeah. You know, okay, I understand you sit on me, but I'm an individual. I think I'd like to know, you know, because I own my body, where you will be sitting. Important detail. Sure. And he says, oh, right on your lap. Oh, good. Or your head. Yeah, just clarifying. He's saying, yeah, or your head. And then because he knows that this is a new concept to you, you're probably not clear on it. And sometimes repetition helps. So he says, sit, sit, sit on you. Sit, sit, sit on you. I'm starting to get it. Yeah. And then he said, oh, I just want to make sure you get it. Sit, sit, sit on you. Oh, sit on me? Right on your lap. Oh, no. And then you got it. And from that point on, you got it. You're in. Is what I'm trying to say. Nice. So, of course, you know that they're going to continue to do more with Governor Elliot Spitzer, the guy that was using the prostitution company. And now the prostitute whom he was having relations with is all over the media saying, I want to be a recording artist. Is that the case?
Well, I guess she's been trying to be a recording artist for a while. And once her identity was leaked, you know, now in this day and age of MySpace and Facebook, you know, they found her MySpace page and on there told everything about her, you know, used to do drugs, used to be homeless, left home at 17. She's currently 22 years old. She was born and raised in New Jersey, but has been living in New York, pursuing her recording dreams and career. And, of course, some of her music was on her MySpace page as well. Heard she was going to do the Sit On You remix. Well, it would be a good song to cover. It's already a hit. Half the work's already done. That's a good point. And so I guess that's a deal. Did you guys hear that Jim Carrey was on American Idol? He made an appearance last night. I did. Sky didn't see it. Eddie, you saw it. You guys all saw it? Yeah. I guess he came out dressed in an elephant costume. Kind of. Yeah, I mean, he had... What did it look like? Well, he had, like, the giant feet. Uh-huh. And giant, I guess, what do you call them? The paws? The hoof. The hoof. You know what I mean? The hoof. And he had, like, you know, goofy ears on. And it was, you know, it was silly. Yeah. Horton Hears a Who is a new movie coming out. God bless you. Thank you. And it is, what is it? It's a... Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss story. Yeah. Is it... Is it...
Whenever I talk about kids' stuff, I sound so lost. It's because I really didn't have a childhood. Here we go. I'm not going to get into any of that stuff. Oh, boy. Cue the music. I don't know. I'm just saying that... I'm sure your parents read to you the Dr. Seuss books many times. On the contrary. On the contrary, Eddie. They did not read Dr. Seuss to me many times. I do... though, remember a lot of self-help books as mom was starting to get into menopause or whatever. I digress. You know what? It was a healthy time. It was a time for growth, I think, for everybody, even a child. Anyway, I'm not familiar with Horton Hears a Who that much, but Is it the Grinch? Is it the same character from the Grinch? No. It is not. So Horton is a completely different character. I've been led astray. I've been led astray. See, the Grinch is...
The Grinch. The Grinch. Horton is Horton. Okay, so it is not something that he's... It's like asking if Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are the same person. Okay, to my defense, I thought it was asking if Santa Claus is also Saint Nick. I thought that maybe Horton also went as the Grinch. It's like saying, like, Darth Vader, is he now Indiana Jones? Okay, I understand. It's that out there. All right, now, is Horton a funny creature like the Grinch, or is he a human being? Well, the Grinch isn't a funny creature. He's not a creature. What is that? Your first mistake. You're making me crazy. He is... What is he? Horton is an elephant. Horton's an elephant. The Grinch hates Christmas, Mike. I know, but what is he? What is the Grinch? Is he a man? Is he a... He's a green... Wildebeest. He's the Grinch. Lives in the Coopabara. All right, let's listen to Jim Carrey last night making a surprised cameo on American Idol, cut two. Jim? Good to see you guys. Great to be here. Good. What's with the costume? Well, you know, when I get into a part, I immerse myself in it, generally, and sometimes it sticks with me for a while. But I thinned down a lot. Yeah. This wouldn't be a Fox film, would it be? Uh-oh. Busted. You like to point out the elephant in the room, don't you? Yeah, it's a bit of cross-promotion. You know, when you do a movie with Fox, you're contractually obligated to do a certain amount of that, you know? But it's okay, because I'm happy.
I just want to be here to tell you guys I love the show. I love the contestants. Stars upon stars. And everybody down on the spec loves you, too. What's that? Take a shot of the feet. Those are Randy's shoes. Yeah, exactly. Oh, wow. But it was good. You said he was pretty funny, and he sounded funny. He sounds funny. Yeah, it sounds kind of funny. And then later on, when they were doing the eliminations, he... joined the people that were being eliminated, and he was acting like he was one of the contestants, and he was, like, freaking out that he was going to get eliminated. Cut four. And one of them could be going home. Who is joining them? We've got... No, Jim. Jim. No, no. We already did the plug for the movie, buddy. I should never have done the R.O.O. Speedwagon thing, man. I've got to get to these results, really. Oh, no. America's voted they love you. I love you. Okay. That's funny. And Seacrest, of course, ruins everything. Of course. He does ruin everything, doesn't he? Yeah, he's been extra jackass-y this year. He has. He has. They were, like, wiping Chiquisi's sweat. Yeah, doing hot dances. Gross. Is Chiquisi also the Grinch, or is Chiquisi... He's the elephant. He's the elephant. He's pronounced Chacuzzi. Gotcha.
So the stripper got kicked off last night. Listen, if you're new to understanding what's happening, there's a stripper, a male stripper. He danced at a gay male review strip club. Hey, listen. Sometimes you're blessed with the ability to shake that thing and you can sing. And apparently that was David Hernandez. And so he was multi-talented. He was a stripper and a singer. I heard he stripped to the I Sit On You song. That's what I heard too. How many times, Rob? All that was was just that he just wanted to hear it. It's just a way to say, I beg you to play. He'll work it in like five more times. Exactly. I sit on you. Sit on you. Like I heard that when people file the tax returns, they'll get I sit on you back in the middle. That was for Rob. So he could hear some of that. So what did you guys think about David Hernandez getting kicked off? Was it just a matter of time because there's more talented people? Yeah, I mean, he wasn't going to win, but there definitely was a girl that was much worse who everybody kind of thought was going home. And, you know, they did the thing where them two were in the bottom two, and she was safe. Eddie mentioned it earlier, but the Houston Rockets won their 20th straight game. What's going on? That's crazy.
They don't even have Yao Ming. Oh, wow. Yao's not even in there right now. He's not even playing. Is he, like, sick or something? He broke his foot. So the 20th game, and they tied... Didn't they tie somebody? Yeah, they tied the Milwaukee Bucks record from 1971. I don't know what's going on with the Rockets, but they are definitely the hottest team in the NBA right now. Eddie, I have a question for you. Yo. You think is more annoying. Ryan Seacrest or Guy Fieri from the Food Network. I'm talking about the guy that does the diners, dives, and drive-ins. Oh, I like that dude. No, he is it. Stop it. You're crazy. You do not, Rob. Rob it. The opposite. It drives Eddie crazy. Rob does this thing where if American Idol is super popular,
He doesn't like it. I genuinely don't. Now, conversely, if nobody's heard about something like that show that I Sit On You came from, Rob will think it's the greatest thing in the world. He refuses to go with the flow. I'm not a sheep, Mike. That's right, he's not a sheep. He says, Mike, I'm not a sheep. But I think most people, me, you, and Zeth were here yesterday talking about how we don't like Guy Fieri. Right. And, of course, Rob would be the one person. Beautiful pronunciation, by the way. That was the most... I mean, seriously, I can't let that go. That was the most beautiful... Forget it. Forget it. Perfect. But, yeah, so Rob, of course, has to be the guy that likes... Isn't this America? Can I have my own opinions? Of course you can. Well, what's so strange to me is that he will... Sometimes he'll like popular people, popular artists or whatever. Mariah Carey, we could talk about it. Yeah, you like Mariah Carey, but you don't like some of her most popular work, like this. Ha, ha, ha. Yeah, she'd had a couple of drinks, but you know what? That is true. I think the bass is taken away from the vocals. Ladies and gentlemen, line is open. If you'd like to text us, do it now at 35253. Well, the reason we do Sean TV is because Sean's our sound effects guy and he watches everything. TV. He watches the entire TV. He watches the whole thing. Whatever's on. The whole thing. And so what he does is he introduces us to shows that we've probably never heard of and that he enjoys. We call the segment Sean TV, and we play audio from the weird shows that he watches, and we'll do that next on The Mikey Show. Hey there, Delilah. No time's again. What's a P1? P-1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to The Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. The P-1 Army. Director of The Descent. Tomorrow. Ever seen. There's no system. Rules. No backup. If there's such a thing as hell on earth, that's it. Ever imagined it could prepare you for a dissent? Muting. Murder. That's just for starters. You think? It's language and some sexual content and nudity. Under 17, not admitted without parent.

Where you'll get a physical for your morals from Dr. Phil. So anyway, about P1 Idiot Girl. No, I don't. I don't. So what's wrong? Well, I guess what's wrong is that we just don't want to put on a red bow tie with no shirt, pair of blue jeans. Look like we just got jumped by a bedazzler. You know what I'm saying? No, that's why I don't watch the show. That's why you don't watch American Idol? Yeah, because I'm not gay. Now you can put that one on the boy. Hey, welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 7-0-2-0.
Valerie Bertinelli says that Eddie Van Halen is not back in rehab. Mount St. Mary's and Portland State are the latest teams to earn NCAA bids. Eddie and Boston Rob are going to be playing a little game of Madden 08 coming up. She just plays Duck Hunt. Oh, yeah. I have a question. Go ahead, Eddie. Go ahead. Have we decided, is there going to be a... Home field advantage? Are we playing in a neutral field? Who's the home team? Let's play in a neutral field. Okay. In fact, I'll make it easy. Why don't we play where they played the Super Bowl? Why don't you guys play in Arizona? Okay. Play at that Arizona stadium. Who is the home team? Who's the away team? We'll flip for it. We'll flip a coin. Fair enough. The fairest thing in the world. We'll flip a coin, see if Eddie is the home team or Boston Rob is the home team. Not that it will matter. But it will be fun to watch.
Boston Rob is going to, of course, be the Patriots. Eddie is going to represent the Chargers. Yo, what up, Bolts? And they're going to play Madden 08. And you're going to be able to watch it on your computer and listen to it on the radio. You'll hear all the game being played on the radio. We'll be doing the commentary. Plus, they're going to have headsets on with microphones so that you can actually hear the smack talk going on between Eddie and Boston Rob. It's going to be a heavy dose of number 21. You know what I mean? I don't mind telling you my game plan. It's handoff, handoff, handoff, baby. Rob. What's up? That doesn't sound good for you. What up, Rob? Sean TV coming up here in just a second. Sean wrote me an email yesterday, and I didn't get to read it, and I rarely do this where I ask about something on the air because I didn't get to read it. But Sean, he said something about his DirecTV. And I wanted to know what it was, and I thought, eh, maybe our listeners will be interested in what is going on with this. Sean said something about DirecTV is he figured something out with his DirecTV where you can, like, use your DVR in a certain way that I was like, whoa, how does that work? Shani, do you remember what I'm talking about? Yeah, yeah. So I went to my DirecTV account online last night, so I always like to check in and see what's going on. They have a new feature. I'm sorry. What? I don't know.
It was a crack. No, I'm sorry. What was that? No, no, no. No, sweetie, I really love you. If it's good enough to say, it's good enough to repeat. Yeah, share it with the whole class. Go ahead, Shawnee. So, Mike. So, you know, I went to check it out, and basically what you can do now, if you have a DirecTV DVR, you can program your DVR from either a web browser or your cell phone from anywhere in the world. You can program it to record shows. I was like, I was blown away. Okay, because a couple friends of ours want us to watch this show, Rob and Big. They want us to watch it so... Oh, dude, that show is so great. You would love it. Dude, they think it's so funny, and I've never seen it, and I want to, and I keep forgetting to DVR it. On MTV. On MTV. You hate MTV. I know, I know, I know. You will like the show, bro. They go, it's funny. No, you won't. They said, it's funny. You will like it. It's a very positive show. And so I keep forgetting to do it. I keep forgetting to set my DVR. But he's saying I can do it from my computer at work right now. Wow. Do you need to know your account number or something? Yeah, you have to have an account with them and you have to sign up for a web account. But it's really easy. I did it like, first time I did it in like five minutes. That's cool. It doesn't take very long at all. That is cool. Yeah, dude. It's so awesome. Okay.
Then, that being said, why don't we give this a shot right here? Sean likes watching his TV. Whatever Sean likes sounds good to me. Whatever Sean likes, well, you know that it might be not as gay as something. Watched by Mikey when he's watching. You know he's standing up. This is Sean TV. When he's watching, we know he's standing up. The reason we say that, Sean watches TV standing up with his hands in his shorts. Well, you know, Mike... I get a little stir-crazy when I watch television, so I gotta stand up, walk around a little bit, you know, get some exercise in. And then he does laps. He jogs around his living room. Yeah, well, he walks around. He walks around the living room. Fast pace walk? He's wearing, like, cargo shorts or, like, you know, not cargo shorts. No. No, he's wearing shorts. I wear pajamas. Oh, our bad. Pajamas have pockets? Yeah, I have, like, pajama shorts. And, yeah, they have pockets. And so you will tie the string on the shorts, the elastic waistband, right? Yeah. A little drawstring. Drawstring. He'll tie it, and then he'll put his hands in his pockets. Yep, yep. And he'll stand. Or walk around. And he'll walk around his coffee table. Seriously, is that so weird? Not at all. No, making an observation. I think we all do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure do.
I hate to do this on the air mic, but I'm getting audio from the setup that they've got going on. So I hear them doing like test, test, test and all that. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Let's see. Boston Rob or Oates. Where is that coming through? It should be on SAS too. Sean, did that help? No. Okay. Let's see. Did that help? No. I can power through it. Wait a minute. Rob, do you know what may be set up over here that's making him do that? Who's that? Sean, is it changing anything? Yeah, it's gone. It's gone. Cool. Thank you. Thank you. All right, so Sean TV is where Sean watches all kinds of TV and introduces us to something new. What was the name of that show you introduced us to last week, Sean? You're talking about Tim and Eric, awesome show, great job? Yes. Yes, I am. We are.
Yes, I am. And that is an example of a show that many of us haven't heard of, but Sean has. Well, I heard it at 4.15 a.m. 4.15, by the way. 4.15 a.m. Sunday mornings on the Cartoon Network. It's during Adult Swim. You know what it's on. So it's a cartoon. No, it's not a cartoon, Eddie. It's a live-action comedy skid show. But it's on the Cartoon Network. Yes, it is. It's during Adult Swim, Eddie, which has sort of been the rules during that time. Okay, go. During Adult Swim. Okay, so, Sean, what show are we going to be learning about this week? Well, you know, Mike, I was going to do Sports Action Team, but we got a phone call. Wait, wait, wait. You were going to do a TV show called Sports Action Team? Yeah, you know, Sports Action Team. No, I do not. It's on Sunday nights. On what? You know, on the NBC affiliate there. Okay. NBC affiliate? Okay. Okay. So, but, you know, we had a phone call from a P1, Mike. Uh-huh. And, you know, I am a man of the P1s. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I absolutely am. Sean hates our listeners. No, that's not true, Mike. Okay. It's not always true anyway, Mike. All right. You call them pigs. Yeah, I do. You know, they're my piggies. And, you know, I love them. I love them with every fiber of my being. Okay. If I love you and hate, then that's correct. Whenever one is in need.
I am always there to provide. Go ahead, Sean. I don't like this. So we had a phone call from a P1. He asked for more Banachek references, Mike. And so, to that end... This is going to be so stupid. Again? Sean! To that end, Mike. Again? Let's return to the high-stakes game of wealthy claimants, high deductibles, and interstate intrigue. No. This isn't happening. With Boston casualties, number one insurance investigator, and self-made businessman and ladies' man, Mike. It's Banachek. He's going back to Banachek. Eddie's giving me the... Why, Eddie, why are you giving me the break signal? Why is he doing that? I don't think this is... I'm just getting started. No, wait a minute. Nobody wants this. For those of you... In this episode, my season... Now, for those of you... Wait a minute. For those of you that don't... Sky, there hasn't been a new episode of Banachek since 1979. Oh, my bad. 76, but go ahead. Oh, my bad.
So, anyway, what happened on this episode of Banachek? Why are you even... I gotta hear it. I'm actually curious. In this episode from Season 1, Mike... Season 1. Banachek must find a priceless relic... He's an insurance investigator. He is an insurance investigator, correct. A crucifix purchased by a former East Coast mafioso living in Mexico. Okay. He has donated this crucifix to the Archdiocese in Los Angeles. Go ahead, yeah. It has gone missing, Mike. No. And in this clip, Banachek talks with the former Mafia boss, Antonio D'Arezzo, about another Mafia boss, Andros, who he believes may have stolen this priceless relic. He already said he's got plenty of money. And he's not an art collector. No, he isn't. He's nothing but a hood in spite of all of them. Bananas. You guys always run around in circles. I'll tell you why Andros took it. No. He thought I was going to give it to the church and he was afraid it might do me some good and he didn't stand that. That's Lindsay Lohan, isn't it? That's Lindsay Lohan. More than anybody hates anything else except the way I hate him. I've hated him for 40 years. Oh my. There's a man that I've paid left for 40 more. Oh my goodness. Yeah. would just, you know, give it a chance. Please. You're obtuse. Wow. And now, Mike, while investigating the drop-off point, the midway point between Mexico and America, where the Mexican transport team met with the American transport team, Banachek discovered someone lurking around the property. He's not kidding, by the way. This is a real show. He's not joking around. Can I please talk? He watches this. Banachek discovered someone lurking around the property who may have some information that he might need to locate the relic. It's all right. Nobody's going to hurt you. No one's going to hurt you. What's your name? Enrique Rojas. Are you kidding me? You're such a... You're a jerk. You're racist. I think it's crazy. He stayed here two, three days. Five minutes is gone. All right. Knock it off, Sean. But you're still here. You are such a... Oh, I loved it. I loved it. I'm furious. There it is, folks. And, of course, in the end, Mike... No. Banachek locates the cross. Oh, good. Restores it to the archdiocese. Did he find the relish? Yeah, did he find the relish? It's relic.
Ashley wants to know if they find the relish. And earns the respect of Antonio Durezzo, much to the chagrin of the Boston Casualty Insurance Investigative Team. Okay. Mike, it's Banachek Weekends on the Hallmark Channel. Oh, that's not... It's on TV. Well, I'm furious. And you're welcome. When we come back... Both the 5 and the 5 northbound. Tougher. Just tough. Pretty much goes up to Nashville City. Kind of the usual here. The 805 continues off to Home Avenue. A brief delay through North Park. But then...
It's pretty heavy, though, out of Kearney Mesa from the 163 up towards just past Claremont Mesa Boulevard. An accident here on the left-hand shoulder, kind of causing or just adding to the usual slow traffic there already anyway. The West 94 King Freeway, a little tight now from College Avenue, getting over to the 805 Freeway. The West 8 this morning is looking a little bit heavier as well as you come in towards Jackson Drive out towards Lake Murray. Then again from Waring in past the Q. South by the 15, slow and go from the 78 downtown Villa Rancho Parkway. And now it's going from Carmel Mountain Ranch into the Poway area. All right, I want to talk to you golfers out there. If you're like me and you love to golf, head out to the links on the weekends. Then you want to use Aldola. Aldola golf shafts are the best, the hottest shafts in golf. And let me tell you something. I use Aldola golf shafts, and it's actually improved my game, which I thought was... pretty impossible to do. But yeah, I tell you what, man, I used to use my old set of clubs and I didn't realize that the golf shafts that I had, they weren't the right length. And so I was not playing up to my normal potential. And the guys at Alderla actually really helped me out. They hooked me up with some new Alderla golf shafts and it actually improved my game. And I'm telling you, it is the way to go.
Because I don't know if you know this, Rob, but chicks, they dig the long ball. You know what I'm saying? That's what I heard. Chicks dig the long ball. That's right. I got to get into golf. Dude, golf is great, man. I will take you. I would love to take you. Yeah, and then we can do a challenge. Oh, no. So here's what you want to do. Aldola is based here in San Diego. So make sure you look up Aldola Golf Shafts if you want a new set of clubs. And you can also win a day of golf with me. There you go, Rob. You can go online, go to MikeyShow.com, look for the Aldola link, click on that, and you can enter to win a day of golf with me for free. On it. There you go. It's Aldola Golf Shafts, the hottest shafts in golf. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. This is the Mikey Morning Show. That's what I'm talking about. Oh, yeah. Starts the morning off right. That's right. KIOC San Diego's Rock. The Mikey Show. Now. Everybody, P1's... Did you just make that up? No, no. That's a true story. That actually is a true story. First of all, I would like to have a gigantic round of applause for the engineers that set this up. Awesome. This is easily... Kevin, this is one of the coolest things. Kevin is our... Ron Foo. Where's Ron Foo? Ron, thank you, man. This is amazing.
This is amazing. Ron and Kevin and everybody involved in this and our promotion department too. This is just amazing. We're in our performance studio right now. We've got about 20 P1s in chairs getting to watch this. And what we have is a big screen with the Xbox Madden 08 up on the big screen, which, by the way, you can actually see wherever you are right now with a high-speed connection. If you're at work, if you're at home, wherever you are, if you're close to a computer and you've got a high-speed connection, go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And when you get there, all you have to do is, in the keyword section, type in the word webcam, hit enter, and you'll be watching what we're seeing on the screen right now. So what's going on is Eddie and B-Rob, they have these challenges from time to time. And by the way, I want you guys to go ahead and you guys can be raucous. You can make noise. You can cheer. That's what's going to make this awesome. I'm telling everybody that's in here right now. Don't be silent. We don't want you to be silent observers. We want you to talk out loud and get into it and whatever. There you go. That's what I'm saying. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Now, if you are listening right now, if you are listening on the radio,
You're going to be able to hear the sounds of the game. We have them mic'd so that they can play the game and be mic'd at the same time. And this is going to be fantastic. Eddie's going to be the Chargers, and Boston Rob is going to be the Patriots. Does anybody have a coin? Does anybody have a coin? We have somebody reaching into their pocket. Am I rich, Mike? He wants Scooby. You are going to be the coin tosser to find out who has home field advantage. Toss the coin, Scooby. And Scooby? Heads it in. Eddie is the home team. Holy win he's getting this morning. Eddie is the home team. So, Boston Rob, if it wasn't already difficult for you, it just got more difficult. Now, they're playing Xbox 360. They're going to be playing Madden 08. Eddie's going to be the home team. They're playing at Phoenix Stadium. And the music that you're hearing is the music from the game. So, they're going to be playing at... I think it's called...
Phoenix University Stadium, it's the same place they played the Super Bowl, and it's where the Cardinals play in Arizona. That's the stadium that we're going to use. And Eddie is going to be the Chargers, and Boston Rob is going to be the Patriots. Just so you know, just so you guys know, the Patriots are rated very high. They're rated at a 97. Wow. Well, hold on. The Chargers are at 95. Yeah, so. 95. Two points off. It's pretty fair. Rob's already on the defense. I'm just saying he's trying to make it out like it's like a 97 to like 80 point difference or something. I was trying to make it out like you guys are real good. 97, that sounds pretty good to me. That's all I'm saying. Thank you. I'll take that compliment. Eddie's 95, and he's probably still going to win. Oh, yeah. All right. So right now the game is loading. You know that if you're watching this at home on your computer, which you can be. I want to move in here. I know, isn't it awesome? Yeah, this is cool. Can I live here? Eddie and Boston Rob right now are sitting on couches, and they have lavalier mics on, so they're going to be able to use both hands playing the game. And right now what we're going to do is they're calling it. The coin has been tossed on the game, and let's see what happens. I won the toss. Eddie won the toss. You won again? Yeah. Yeah, he keeps winning. He's on a hot streak right now. That's how I roll. Very, very nervous. Okay.
Are there lobs on? Okay, cool. Then we don't need this anymore, right? Okay, cool. I just want to make sure. Eddie's doing a sound check to make sure that we can hear him. Boston Rob, go ahead and say something. It doesn't sound like it's on. We'll see. We'll see here in a minute. Yep, now he's getting frisky with you. Hello. The game is about to begin, and the Patriots are running out onto the field. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. Ah, quit crying. It's because we beat you in the playoffs a bunch of times. He's not getting the warmest response from the people here in the performance studio. I'm a little nervous, Mike, because I've never played Xbox before. Now, is that true, Eddie? You've really never played Xbox? So does it already feel, Eddie, does it already feel a little unusual for you? Well, here's what we're doing. This is the very beginning of the game, so the guys are like running around the field right now. You can hear the game being played live over the air. And guys, make some noise here. The Patriots are about to kick off to Eddie. Patriots are about to kick off to Eddie. He's going to start it, and then you're going to have to hit it again. Does Rob really not know how to do any of this? You have to hit it like three times.
I'm teaching him how to play right now. He doesn't know how to do anything. He doesn't. I don't think he knows how to do anything. Oh, here we go, here we go. It's going to be a massacre. Honestly, I think the last time he played was like Sega in the 90s. Genesis was an awesome console. Kodeo Camardi took the ball back to the 40-yard line, or thereabouts. About the 40-yard line. It's first and ten. Eddie is going to be on offense. Eddie is going to be on offense first. Is that correct, Eddie? Yeah, I'm on offense first. Eddie is on offense. He's picking his play. He's taking a look. We don't know what he's selected. Eddie's figuring the game out. Eddie's trying to figure the game out. Eddie's never played Xbox.
So Eddie's got a penalty delay game. Rob is trying to rub it in by laughing. Eddie is picking his play. Rob, strangely, has already picked a defensive play. I don't know why. There's this option called Ask Madden. He does all the work for you. I trust him. He selects the Ask Madden feature. What just happened? Going to Ask Madden again. Eddie, very careful. All you gotta do is ask Madden. He tells you what to do. It's simple. You better pick a play there, bro. Madden needs to warm up, okay? Madden?
Live Xbox 360 Madden 08 game right now. You can see it by going to keywordwebcams at mikeyshow.com. They're within striking distance. Oh, thank you, Josh Lillen. Eddie has just picked his play. Is that really what? No. Rivers is behind the center? I don't know. Will this be a passing play? Yes, it will. Rivers, too. They touch the ball. Boston Robb. First down. Antonio Gates. Scoring rate. First in tennis. It's kind of a child's play, Mike. My four-year-old nephew right here played me better. It looks like Eddie has figured out Xbox 360, by the way. I so love how Rob refuses to make eye contact with him. I don't like it. I don't like it. Rob won't make eye contact. They've gone seven yards to the end zone. You're wearing Dodger stuff. Get out of here. Get out of here. Rob was so insulted by the fact that somebody wants to tag in. That's ridiculous, Mike. Rivers Tilly. Guess who plays shows? Out to
Big playmakers for New England. Sorry that took me so long, guys. Mike, before we started, didn't Eddie tell Rob this was exactly what he was going to be doing? Pretty much, yeah. He said opening drive. And right now the extra point is about to be kicked. And Boston Rob's still looking confused even with the kick feature. Rob not really knowing what to do. I'm teaching Eddie how to kick right now. Oh, is that what's going on, Rob? I'm being a nice guy. Sure you are. I believe him. Pull this stick back, pull that back, and then push it forward. You pull it back and push it forward. Eddie's learning Xbox 360, and so the extra kick is no good. That's very different from PlayStation. I was trying to help him out. Very different from PlayStation. Well, on PlayStation, you hit a button to start the meter and then whatever. Get set to kick this one away. It doesn't matter. All right, Eddie is preparing to kick off. What do you guys think, on-site kick? Yeah, sure. It's six to nothing Eddie right now, meaning six to nothing chargers. Eddie's the Chargers. Robb is the Patriots. Robb. Oh, dude. You turned the ball. No, I'm not. Channigans are going on here. Robb does not get to go on offense. Chargers back on offense. Look at this. Hand off. Oh, no. Not at him, but it was intercepted. Here's the best part. The computer was controlling his guy. He had no idea what was going on. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Even touching buttons. Well, listen. Right now.
Right now, it is 6. It's tied 6-6. Go, man! It's tied 6-6. Rob is about to try to kick an extra point. That was ridiculous. All right, no problem. It's for now it's Rob. He's got Gardaki kicking the extra point. It's good. I know Rob is ahead right now. 7-6. Wow. Now, anyway, you're kind of figuring out the control deal here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's going to be receiving now as the Chargers. All the buttons are real different. Gardocki kicking off to Antonio Camardi. Antonio Camardi returning. And is stopped at about the 31-32 yard line. My palms are sweating so hard right now. Holy mackerel. I beg your pardon. So here we are. And it is going to be...
Chargers on offense. As a matter of fact, that's all we've seen this morning. Except for my touchdown, Mike. Except for my touchdown. Except for the defense. Except for my touchdown. Interception. Oh, no. Oh, no. But Daniel Tomlinson takes a handoff rushes for about six, seven yards. It's now second and three on the San Diego 39. Boston Rock picking his defensive play. He does that every time before he even... Madden takes care of it. How many times do I get to explain this to him? So you're never going to pick a defense? He's never going to pick a defensive play. He's letting Madden... He's letting the computer do all the work. All right, this one's for T-Rex. Eddie back to pass. Rivers back to pass. And it is a knockdown. Look at Rob. Look at Rob. T-Rex just collapsed from the ground. How do you feel, T-Rex? T-Rex is getting around. He's wearing his Antonio Gates jersey just collapsed. Philip Rivers on the screen is yelling at the crowd. Did you see that? And look how they have Philip Rivers mad even in the game. Look at that. That's hysterical.
Phillip Rivers screaming and yelling. You can watch this, by the way. Go to MikeyShow.com. Type in the keyword webcam. Might have to hit the delay on Phillip Rivers at 35. And watch this live. Here's what we got to do. I got to take a timeout. We will keep the game playing. Make noise in your P1s as you're watching. If you want to continue, go to MikeyShow.com, type in keyword webcams, and watch the game as we are in commercial break. We will return. And he's going off for pass. Oh, he paused the game. He paused the game. Right back to see how this pass This ends on the Mikey Show. Eddie and B-Rock Challenge, Inter-Performance Studio, Madden 08 on Xbox. You can watch MikeyShow.com. I'm looking at some tough rides out here now this morning. The South 15 is getting pretty heavy as you'll work your way out of Escondido from the 78. That extends pretty much over the lake, actually, with some reduced speeds here. And pockets of slowing to Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain Ranch. Finally frees up past Mercy Road in Poway. Your coaster ride looking pretty typical here in the Southbound 5. Slow out of El Lucadia down towards Solana Beach. The westbound 8 is a heavy ride as well now. Coming out of the east counties, backs up right around Lemmingson Boulevard for a slow ride all the way in past the Q. Slows again around Texas Street to Mission Center Road. The west 94 King Freeway, plenty of brake lights here as well.
Backed up from Massachusetts Avenue now. Battle Lemon Grove to the 805 connector. And then again from Home Avenue to downtown. And you've got pretty much the usual stuff out of the South Bay. Both the 5 and the 805 northbound pretty jammed up up to National City. 805 slows again to North Park. And now you've got the busier ride out of Kearney Mesa approaching the 163 connector. And that stays slow over the 52 into the Golden Triangle. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock, 105.3. Attention P1s, especially the ones that are by their computer watching. The events in this room have startled all of us. Yes, the world, really. I don't know how this happened. I left the room. I came back in, Boston Rob, during the break.
has taken the lead. Yes, he has. Oh, what's that, Mike? I couldn't have it. Whatever. The score is 14-6. That was a completion. Eddie's on offense. Completion. Rivers to Gates. I don't know how it happened. Sky, was it offense, defense? What happened? Yeah, Rob had the ball, and he threw it, and then they ran down to the end of the field. Got it, got it. That's a pretty good description, actually. I couldn't hear who that was. Was that Josh Lewin? All right, whatever. It is second and three. There are three seconds left here in the first quarter. I think that we're going to go. They did. They called the whistle. They blew the whistle because we're going into second quarter now. Again, let me update you on the score of this Eddie B. Rob Challenge. Loser, by the way, has to wear a ridiculous costume tomorrow at our P1 lunch in Mission Valley at Joe's Crab Shack. Right now, it is 14-6, New England Patriots. Of course, Rob the Patriots, Eddie the Chargers. And Chargers are on offense. It is second and three from the San Diego 48. Rivers at center, hands off to LT. LT cuts it to the left. First down. First down, San Diego.
And he picks up a first down. Actually, I was wrong. It's third and one. Third and one. I would say it's just a couple of inches here. I don't know. Boston, Rob, are you still letting Madden decide your defensive plays or have you decided to try to pick your own? Madden's doing stuff, dude. Okay, Madden's doing stuff, dude, is the answer. So, Rivers behind center. You can watch this online. Hand off LT. LT cuts it. Moves the inside and picks up about seven yards. Vince Wilfork on the stop for the New England Patriots. I like that 21. He's pretty good. It is now first and 10 on the New England 43. Dude, this thing looks so good online. Doesn't it look great, man? I was in there too checking it out online. It looks great, man. Yeah, I'm watching it right now. You watching me win, Sean? All right. Let's have a look for you, buddy. Okay. Phillip Rivers behind center. Hand off. LT. Oh, no. It's play action pass. Eddie looking downfield. He's got a wide open Eric Parker. Wide open Eric Parker.
Eddie picks up a big first down on play action. And Boston Rob bit on that play action like nobody's business. Holy Toledo. First and ten on the New England 18. The game being played at the same stadium that the Super Bowl was played at. It is Phoenix University Stadium in Arizona. Rivers behind center. Hand off LT. Stopped immediately. Boston Rob, extraordinarily proud of that move. Extraordinarily proud. Yeah, way to go Madden. Yeah, even though Madden picked it. Thank you. Boston Rob is very proud of it. Eddie is taking a look at his plays, at his offensive plays. Boston Rob letting Madden do the work. I gotta get in the game here. Me too. I really gotta get in this game. Rivers back to pass. Rivers is sacked for a big one. I gotta tell you what's going on. Go ahead, Eddie. I'm so used to the controls on PlayStation. The color green is A. It's normally the air, right? So I'm hitting the wrong button. It's my fault. It's the colors, Mike. I'm talking a little smack. Wow.
Now, B-Rob does an interesting thing. He doesn't do anything. Anybody remember the Nintendo controller? There's no colors. Let me tell you what B-Rob does. First time you call this play. I'm furious now. Rivers, back to pass. He's looking. He's got a wide open... Oh! Right at the sideline. Was he in or was he out? He was out. Did he check the replay? Boston Rob does this very funny thing. He takes a look at his defensive plays for about... 30 seconds before he lets Madden pick it. He makes it look like he's actually, hmm, what looks good to me? What looks good to me? So, Mr. Madden, what should I do? Eddie is going to go for it on 4th and 19, it looks like. He wants to make his move. We got 2 minutes 46 seconds before we go to halftime. 6 seconds left on the play clock. Sit down, guys. 12 seconds left on the play clock. Rivers behind center goes back to pass. He's looking long. This one intercepted by Boston Robb and the play is brought down at about somewhere. I picked my own play on that one. I picked my own defense. Boston Robb picked his own play, he said. He says he picked his own play. He's brought down, I don't know, somewhere around the 30-yard line. Sky.
What are your thoughts on the events of this game? Ridiculous. Well, I think the colors are really spectacular. You weren't prepared for that, were you? No, I wasn't. Ashley, what are your thoughts mid-game? I'm blown away that Rob is winning. I think it's crazy. Well, I think everybody is. Oh, no. Oh, no. Come on, come on, come on, come on. I have 100% confidence in Eddie. All right. Now, Brady, back to pass. He's looking long. Almost sacked. Oh! He completes one long to Randy Moss. Who's that, too? I couldn't see. I couldn't see. My eyes are bad. I see Wes Welker. My eyes are bad. It was not Randy Moss. It was Wes Welker. Oh, he chose Wes Welker. Complete a pass to... Yeah, number six, Randy Moss. That is weird. What? Wow. Shocking. Boston Rob looking for a play. You can watch this live online by going to keyword webcams at mikeyshow.com. I'm not letting you do that anymore, Rob. Boston Rob is picking his offensive play. And Tom Brady. Gets in the shotgun position. Tom, terrific. Here we go. Brady, back to pass. Being rushed. Stacked by Sean Phillips. Eddie doing the bowling move here live in the studio. Down you go. Sean Phillips on the sack. Second down and 20 yards to go. Not much. I wonder what he'll do in this situation. I wonder if Boston Rob will run or pass. Well, whatever Madden says.
Second and 20. Yeah, whatever Madden tells him, Mike. Second and 20 from the New England 38-yard line. They've got a long way to go. And two minutes to left. We just hit the two-minute warning. Brady in the shotgun position. He does a little play action. And completes a long first down pass to Wes Welker. Wesley done, Robbie. Wes Welker looking for the congratulations from the crowd, and so is Rob. Yeah, I liked how Rob turned and stared down. Yeah, that's right. Rob is giving the cold stare to everybody. Why is that necessary? First and ten from the San Diego 31. Minute 40 left to play in the half. I think around the fourth quarter, I'll figure this out, Mike. The chant begins here in the performance studio for Eddie and defense. Shotgun position for Brady. You're listening to Madden 08, Eddie and B-Rob. Brady, back to pass. Looking long. He's completed one to Stallworth.
That's good for another first down. A lot of weapons on the Patriots team, Mike. A lot of weapons. Why is Rob doing so good? Two things. One, he's letting John Madden play for him and Eddie's actually picking his own plays. That's one thing. And the other one is Eddie is having to adjust. There's an adjustment to go from PlayStation 2 to Xbox 360. No, it's PlayStation 3. PlayStation 3. To Xbox. The buttons are different. Whatever. I wish he'd do that in real life. Marlon McCree bats down a pass right at the goal line. He should have had an interception. He bats down a pass. Say again, say again. Hit him in the bad spot. That is correct. 51 seconds left in the half. Boston Rob's Patriots are leading 14-6 over Eddie's Chargers. And they get the ball in the second half. Second and ten. Shut up, Scooby. Fourteen seconds left on the play clock. Brady in the shotgun. Brady back to throw. And he completes one again this time to his tight end. A lot of weapons on this team. We've got a big arsenal to work with. I've got to get the ball to a lot of people today, Mike. You've said that already.
It's now first and goal Patriots. Wow. First and goal Patriots, the San Diego Six. About 30 seconds left. Eddie is picking his defense. Austin Robb letting Madden do the work. Duh. Brady right behind center this time. No shotgun. He's picking his own offensive plays. When forced to pick his own plays, Robb is sacked. Oh, man. working out for him really well. When Rob was forced to pick his own play, Eddie calling a timeout. I didn't see how much time there was. Eight seconds left in the half. Eddie calls a timeout. I did not call a timeout. You did not. Oh, Rob did. Rob called a timeout. Scooby told him to. Scooby told him to. I'll tell you why. Because he's got eight seconds left, Ashley. If he hadn't called the timeout, time would have ran out. Now Boston Rob has time to score. Gotcha. You get it? We are second and goal. San Diego 10-yard line. Brady in the shotgun. Brady finds an open welter. Boston Rob calling another timeout. Boston Rob calling another timeout with one second left. One second left in the half. What are you talking about, pick my own play? Third and goal. One second left in the half. Patriots 14-6. You're listening to a live Eddie and B-Rob challenge.
Come on, we'll hold them. I am picking my own play. I'm picking my own offensive play, you jerk. Brady under center. Brady, handoff. Oh, no, it was play action. The touchdown from happening. Marlon McCree again performing like he didn't when he was here. And so we now go into halftime. I believe Ashley's going to perform the halftime show. That's right. Oh, no. All right, let's do this. We take a quick timeout. When we do this, we are going to let them continue to play the game. You've heard that this does take some time. You can watch this game live on your computer right now. Loser has got to dress in a ridiculous outfit tomorrow at Joe's Crab Shack Mission Valley. You are listening to the game live on the radio. Xbox 360, Madden 08. Eddie is the Chargers. Boston Rob's the Patriots. Boston Rob was, well, he still is winning, but it's 14-13. Eddie's closed the gap. Oh! It's a close one. This is getting really intense. I got to tell you. What? I kind of had a prediction that this may happen as Eddie started to learn the controls and kind of figure out how, because he's never touched an Xbox 360. Right. As he's figuring out how the controller works, some
Somehow, he's, you know, Boston Robb is not doing so well as he was in the beginning of the game. That's a good point. Guys, are you enjoying what you're seeing here? We got people here in the performance studio. We're videotaping all this, and you can watch the game. Oh, face Mike! Face Mike! Yeah! He's attacking you, Mike. Well, I have some stuff on my face. That's all I was really saying. Boston Rob's Patriots just scored. The score is now 20-13. The extra point, it's 21-13. Eddie looks disappointed. Eddie, what happened there? My guy just stopped. I don't know what happened. Boston Rob is preparing to kick off. Look at that look on his face. He's got the biggest, cheesiest grin. Quimby looks like she's coming out of her skin and she's about to cry.
Somewhere Zeth is curled up in the fetal position. Crying for no reason. Antonio Camardi returning the kickoff. Again, it is 21-13. Patriots right now. We're in the third quarter with a minute 57 seconds left to play in the third quarter. Lots of time, Mike. Lots of time. I'm not worried. It looks like San Diego is on the 27-yard line. Their own. 27. Thank you very much, Computer Josh. Philip Rivers, handing off to LT. He gets a couple. He's got your number. He gets a couple. What did he say? Brewski's got your number. That was really, really stupid. Somehow during video games, that Boston accent becomes so much more annoying. You can watch this on your computer right now if you're near a computer. Go to Mikeyshow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Type in the keyword webcam, and you can actually watch it. Eddie back to pass. It's a long one. Goal! He's going deep to Antonio Gates. Oh, man, Antonio Gates almost had it. What's that called, interception? What was that? That was just a knockdown. Just a knockdown. Yeah, it was a knockdown. Man, knockdown! There you go, Ashley. Ashley becoming a charger girl for the day. Trying to learn how to call the interception. Oh, gosh.
Wow, it looks like even the computerized Belichick is cheating. Alright, here we go. I'm not messing around anymore. Phillip Rivers under center. Now I'm serious. LT in the lone back position. Rivers. Passes. Incomplete. Went again to Gates. Knocked down by... Looks like Seymour. No, I got too much. I got plenty. No, it's Roosevelt Colton. I stand corrected. Roosevelt Colton. It looks like Cyphers is fourth and ten, so Cyphers back to punt, punting back to the New England Patriots. This one goes off a little bit of the side of his foot and is going to come to a stop at about the 46-yard line. What's going on? Let me explain to you, Ash. What's going on? If we're playing on the PlayStation 3, it's a different story. I told you. He's got to learn how these control works. He's working on it completely. He's never put his hands on one of these before. But the third is almost over. Can I ask you this? The old Patriot Cross. Rob, this is what Rob does. I don't know. He pretends he doesn't know what he's doing, but during the week, he's practicing all week. See, that is BS. Brady back to pass. Brady, Brady shuffling, looking downfield. He's going long. This time to Moss. That's just the pass. Moss gets off the three-yard line. That's your name.
You have to actually run a play. No. Quentin Jammer doing what Quentin Jammer does. You're going to keep throwing? That's not fair. We're going to have a great season, Ashley. Why would you say that? Let's get Lawrence Maroney a little bit of action here. Man, this is brutal. We are first and goal. San Diego five-yard line. I mean, the crowd here has been silenced. Tom Brady in the shotgun position, five-yard line. Looks like he's calling an audible for some reason. It's probably because Rob doesn't know what he's pressing. And Brady back to pass. Touchdown. Oh, no. Yes. Touchdown. Yes. I believe Dante Stallworth. Is that Dante Stallworth? No. No. That's Lawrence Maroney, Mike. Guy in the end zone. Lawrence Maroney catches a touchdown pass for the Patriots. It is now 27-13 Patriots. Almost.
Almost 28, and now it is 28. Lots of time, Mike. Lots of time. Let me hear some support for Eddie. That's right, man. Yes, Eddie. You are right. Boston Rob is kicking off to the Chargers. Gardocki kicks off to Cromartie. Cromartie takes the kickoff. He runs it back. He's shuffling through traffic, makes it to about the 37-yard line. Wow. 37-yard line, first and 10. Yeah, Eddie, are you going to change anything up here? Are we going to do something different? Yeah, I'm going to open it up a little bit. Open it up. That's what I was thinking. First and 10 Patriots. I'm going to close it down. All right. 23 seconds left in the third quarter. Oh. LaDania Tomlinson, handoff LT. That's not going to get it done, Mike. Gives it about three or four yards. The clock ticks, and Eddie is selecting a play.
Boston Rob, of course, relying on John. No, I'm picking on my own plays now. Oh, now he's doing his own plays, ladies and gentlemen. He's now going to select his own plays. And we are second and six from the San Diego 41. Rivers back to pass. He looks. He passes. No good. Incomplete. That time to Jackson. Sky, what do you make of this? Well... Again, things are still looking really beautiful there in Arizona. They got the roof open, so you know it's a wonderful, beautiful day. Hope everybody wore their sunscreen. Quimby is trying to keep her morale up right now. She's doing that by pretending to stick her finger down her throat. It happens. Single back and back to pass is Rivers, and he completes at the gate. First down, San Diego. I'm so mad at you right now. Boston Rob with a whole different demeanor now. We're in the fourth quarter now. We're in the fourth quarter. It's 28-13 New England Patriots. Rivers under center. Long back position for Tomlinson. Tomlinson makes a move! First and 10 San Diego from the New England 32. Eddie and Boston Rob with the most serious looks on their faces right now. They've got the most serious looks on their faces.
Boston Rob is doing that nervous sort of crack-out leg shake over there. Eddie seems a little bit more calm and collected. Rivers back to pass. He's looking for Gates. He passes. And Boston Rob's move. It is now 28-19. Will Eddie go for two? Eddie's not going for two yet. Is it going to be the extra point here? He's looking for the right formation to do the extra point. I don't know how to even get out of this. Eddie is trying to figure out how this system works. He's never played Xbox 360. Four minutes, 28 seconds left in the game. 28 to 19. New England Patriots. Nate Kading ready to kick the extra point. The kick is up. It's good. San Diego and Eddie have just scored against the Patriots.
Listen, this game is not out of reach by any means. It's 28-20. What are you doing, man? Okay, calm down. If you're watching online right now, you saw Boston Rob press a button that he shouldn't have. All you have to do is go to mikeyshow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Go to keyword webcam to watch this game live. Looks like Welker's running this back. Welker to about the 36-yard line. Dragged down about the 36-yard line. First and 10 New England. They're cheering on Eddie's defense right now. New England Patriots 28, Chargers 20. And here comes Tom Brady. Tom Brady in the shotgun position. Lawrence Maroney to his right. And it's play action. Eddie's sack goes Brady. I'm coming back. You want a little of this? John Merriman on the sack. You want a little of that?
And now Boston Rob and Tom Brady are looking at a second down and 21 on the New England 25. Long way to go. And Eddie is within. He can smell it, man. He's within. Brady in the shotgun. He's looking. He's looking. He passes. And he completes this one for a first down. I believe this one's to Moss. Yep. Quentin Jammer not able to defend it. He's tough to stop, Mike. Quentin Jammer not able to defend that one. Randy Moss. Gets the first down on the San Diego 48-yard line, first and 10. As the clock ticks, 335 left in the game. 28-20, New England over San Diego. The loser of this game is going to have to dress ridiculously tomorrow at our Q1 party at Joe's Kravchak. It won't be me. This has been the most anticipated game of all time. It really has. You're listening to it on the radio, watching it on the internet. Brady in the shotgun. Lawrence Moore into the right.
He's got him spread out wide. Most of his receivers to the left. Brady back to pass. This time, knocked down by, I believe, Sean Phillips of the Chargers. Now Rob is looking at a second and ten on the San Diego 48. The play clock ticks down to 30 seconds. And the play clock is stopped at three minutes and eight seconds left. It was an incomplete. Boston Rob still deciding. Here we are in the shotgun position. He loves that shotgun. Again. He throws every down. Every down he throws. Ridiculous. Receiver spread out wide. This time, looking for his tight end, but that's not going to happen. It is broken up by the Chargers. What's up? Eddie is playing some hard defense. Let's get that defensive chant going again. It seems to be working, guys. Third down and 10 for Boston Robb and his Patriots. 28-20 New England. Three minutes left in the game. Play clock down to 20 seconds. Brady, back to pass. Looking forward and has Jabbar Gaffney. That's another first down for the New England Patriots. Not bad, Rob. Boston Rob, so proud. Giant smile, ear to ear. Really putting his head back right now as if to say, I was once in a gang. Okay. Interesting. That's what it looked like. Good point.
Sky, your impressions of the game at this point with two minutes left? Well, I'm creeped out that all the people in the stands have fuzzy faces. That is true. I don't know if there's something to be here or what's going on there. Brady back to pass. First and ten. San Diego, 29-yard line. Play clock ticks down. And so does the game clock. Boston Robb. Hands off. Oh, it's a handoff. Maroney takes it up the middle for another first down. That caught me by surprise. That did. It was his first running play of the entire game. Yeah, that's true. First one. Dang it. Is that your strategy, Brian? Yes. It was the first running play of the game. Maroney takes that straight up the middle. He has no strategy. What am I talking about? That is true. Yeah. Oh. Igor Olshansky is beside himself, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, yeah. 28 to 20. The play clock ticks down. And we are about to hit the two-minute warning. Oh, my God. Two minutes, three seconds left, but Eddie calls a timeout. Oh, Eddie. What are you doing, Eddie? Eddie calls a timeout. Strategy, Sky. What does that mean, Mike? Well, when he calls a timeout, you stop the clock from ticking down. And so what Boston Rob is trying to do is wear that clock down and get the win. And Eddie is not allowing. Eddie did because he needs this time to be able to get a playoff instead of letting Rob just run down that clock. Eddie needs to get a playoff.
So here we are, first and 10, San Diego 11-yard line. Two minutes, three seconds left. Just coming up on the two-minute warning in the shotgun position. Maroney in motion. Boston Robb is letting this go on even though he doesn't realize the play clock's not ticking down. Merriman almost sacks him. Oh, no. Oh, no. It's another touchdown. Lawrence Maroney. Wow. Lawrence Maroney, it looks like, caught that touchdown pass. We have now hit the two-minute warning. This is bad. And as you can hear in the performance studio, morale is low. I just saw a giant yawn from P1 Quimby. P1 nerd texting everyone. I hope my brothers are listening. Oh, man. They're the only people rooting for me in the city of San Diego right now. Boo-hoo! Boo-hoo! Nothing. Check the scoreboard. I ain't crying about a thing. Scoreboard is 35 to 20. The New England Patriots. We are now within two minutes as Gardaki kicks off to the Chargers. It's Gostkowski. Gostkowski. Antonio Cromartie takes the kickoff. He makes a couple of moves. I needed that. I needed that. Wow.
I needed that. Who knows? That was good. Eddie may be able to do something here. A minute 53 left in the game. All right. We are in New England territory at the New England 47-yard line. Mike, remember that comeback I made against you, the greatest comeback of all time? Well, Eddie, I didn't want to talk about that one. Flight block down to 8 seconds. First and 10, 47-yard line of the Patriots. Rivers back to pass. He's got a wide open. Eric Parker for a first down. Eddie is going to... Eddie is going to, I believe, call a timeout. He calls a timeout. Which stops the clock. Which stops the clock. You're exactly right. Stops the clock, Ashley, at a minute 45. He needed to do that. He needs all the time he can get. Boston Robb taking a look at his defense. Eddie taking a look at some offensive plays. Minute 45 left to play in the game. 35-20, New England Patriots. Play clock down to...
38 seconds, but it doesn't matter. The clock is stopped. Rivers in the shotgun position. LT to his right. Rivers, back to pass. He's looking for it. Oh, no. Worst thing that could have happened. Interception. Interception. And it's going back. This one's going to the house. Oh, no. Put the nail in the coffin. And touchdown, New England. Yeah. Yeah. Looking back at us. And giving us a fist bump. Wow. I'm humiliated. And, Eddie, this one is not looking good. I wanted to see that again. Shut up. I'm sorry. That was pretty. I hate you. Boston Rob watching the replay. You watching it online. You can watch the final seconds of this game if you'd like. This is not. Go to mikeshow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W dot com. Type in the keyword webcam. Gardocki. This is a slaughter. Preparing to kick off. I mean, I'm not going to lie. It's what? Gostkowski. Kind of a slaughter. Kicking off to Antonio Cromartie. Antonio Cromartie down the sideline. He breaks one and makes a move, but is brought down ultimately. Bruschi! Before midfield. I mean, Robbie's spanking. Yeah, I know. What will Eddie do? Yeah, I wasn't expecting this. The play clock is not moving. It's a minute 26 left in the game. The score...
42-20, New England over the Chargers. Oh, no. Scooby, now's not the time. Scooby already asking Eddie what costume he's going to be wearing tomorrow. It's not over. It's not over. Phillip Rivers back to pass. Oh, no. Interception. Oh, no. Rob is just laughing. Rob is laughing. They're leaving. They're now leaving. I was tough. I got beat by Madden. What can I say? Here come the excuses. You haven't done anything. You haven't done anything. I want to go back to Randy Moss. A minute 19 left to play. Boston Rob couldn't kneel on the ball at this point. No, I want to get another touchdown. But he's running a play. He's running a play. This time he's passed the Moss. A completion at about the 13-yard line.
Quinn Jammer upset with himself. Yeah. The play clock continues to roll down. Mike, I wasn't expecting this today. I wasn't either. It is a minute five left to play. It's 42 to 20. I'm sure that Tom Brady will kneel on the ball. No, he's in shotgun. No, he's in shotgun. He's not going to kneel on the ball. He's not going to kneel? He's not going to kneel on the ball. Wouldn't that be cool if he did kneel though, Mike? That would be really good sportsmanship for sure. But he's going to run a play anyway. He's back to pass. He passes. In your face. In your face. And Rob is now enjoying the smell of his own farts by watching the replay. Now they're reviewing the catch. And the score is now 48-20. 48-20 New England. Any chance I could reach? Oh, my goodness. The extra point is good. It's good, yeah. Wow. And the score is now 49-20. It's not over yet. I mean, you've got 40 seconds left, bro. I can do this. Goshkowski is kicking the ball off to Antonio Cromartie. Cromartie runs it back. He's ditching. He's dodging. He's knocked down. It's the 28-yard line. I'm just going to kneel. This game is almost over.
I think Eddie is going to run the clock down. I mean, what's the point at this point? I want to see if Rivers can throw another interception. All right. Why not? Don't listen to her. Look at Rivers back to pass. Eddie is going to call a timeout. He can still win this one. We can't. Eddie is going to call a timeout. You never know, Sky. You never know. At least he can score and he can bring, you know. He can bring what? I want to make it respectable. It's 49-20, which is, I believe, the exact score when the Chargers were beat in the Super Bowl by the 49ers, which is adding insult to injury. Ironic. 49-20. The score is 49-20. We're at the New England 46-yard line. There's 30 seconds left to play. Rivers back to pass. He's looking long.
It is a Hail Mary pass. This time open. This is obviously good for a first down. Eddie, I believe he has. I believe he has 19 seconds left. The clock ticks down. He could throw a Hail Mary pass here. And if this touchdown is worth 40 points, we could win the game. You never know. That's what I'm thinking on, Mike. You never know what can happen. I'm going for the 39-point conversion. Nine seconds left on the clock. Rivers back to pass. And we'll get it up. At the goal line. Wow. With about three seconds left. But Eddie's a warrior. He says, I'm running a play. Yeah. Hopefully. I refuse to give up. Let's do something strange here. If Eddie scores, he wins. Now, Eddie scores on this last play. He wins. Rivers back to pass. Rivers back to pass. If he scores, he wins. He play action passes. This time it goes to Jackson. Jackson's got it. He's fumbled the ball. Covered by New England. It's the last play of the game. And New England recovers a touchdown. Turnover on the last play of the game. Folks, give everybody a round of applause here. Big round of applause. And B-Rob. That is going to be the end of the game. 49-20. New England Patriots. Austin, Rob, you pulled out the victory. Wow. Eddie, let me talk to you. Yes. Eddie, what happened in this game? What are your thoughts? Oh, you hear that music in the background? I got to tell you, I did not expect the Xbox...
be as big of a difference in the gameplay as PlayStation. It was. What's the biggest difference? Just the buttons are all different. So I kept thinking I was hitting a certain button because I'm used to playing it on PlayStation. I was hitting the wrong button, and it's my fault. I'm humiliated. Rob won, but he's coming over to my house later. We'll play PlayStation 3, and I'll show him how to play. Now, Eddie, your thoughts on tomorrow, as you know, the loser. Oh, wow. That is just mouthing a word that we can't put on the radio. That's going to be embarrassing. All right. Eddie, tomorrow you're going to have to be wearing a costume that none of us thought that you'd be wearing. It'll be at Joe's Crab Shack for the P1 party. Your thoughts, please. Well, I know everybody's going to show up at the Joe's Crab Shack down by the water. No, Eddie. It's in Mission Valley. That's where the P1 party is, so I'll see you all there. And finally, let's talk to the cheesiest winner. Yeah, what's up, Mike? Woo! The cheesiest grin I've ever seen in my life. I can't stop smiling. I'd just like to thank the Boston Faithful. Hey, at least you didn't choke like in the Super Bowl, huh? I had to. It's all I got. Rob, do you take a sweet victory in this? What are your thoughts on tomorrow and Eddie's costume? I'm excited. I mean, honestly.
I thought he was going to win. I'm on a two-challenge win streak. Things are going good in my life. I'm going out to get a lottery. Well, aren't you really only on a one-win streak? Because last time I played for Eddie, so it was really my loss, not his. Aren't you really on only a one-game winning streak? I'll take the streak, Mike. A streak is a streak. Streaks are in your shorts. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for coming here. Big round of applause for yourselves. I'm sorry. Thank you very much to Kevin and Ron Foo for running things that sounded fantastic on the air. Thank you to Jay and Smash Lee and everybody in promotions who helped us run this thing. And to help spread the word in San Diego this St. Patrick's Day, they sent over one of their favorite sons, Barry. Well, he was busy, so they sent me. I guess we'll make do what we got. Barry, how was the trip over from Ireland? It took Smithicks nearly three centuries to reach the States. It took me about seven hours. Now that we're both here, it's going to be the biggest St. Patrick's Day that San Diego has ever seen. Come join the St. Patrick's Day celebrations at the St. Patrick's Day parade events happening Saturday, March 15th. So far... How has it been in San Diego for you? Well, Boston Rob, being from Ireland, I'm impressed how San Diego really, really gets into St. Patrick's Day celebrations. But to celebrate it like we do back home in Ireland, you need to raise a pint of Ireland's favourite ale. And that's Smittix. Correct. You might have seen it when you're out. It looks like Smithwick's. It's Smith-ix. Smittix. So we dropped a W. Smith-ix. Smittix. It's Ireland's favourite ale. Please drink responsibly. Dave. We need to talk. I told you, she's just a friend. No, not about that. Then what? When we met. You were so cool. Are you seeing someone else? You know Lisa's boyfriend, Chris? You're seeing Chris? No, he just bought a new Nissan Altima. Altima? That car looks really hot. So... And you can get all these cool gadgets, like Bluetooth and a port for an MP3 player. Featuring Mikey. I like to judge people and be critical of people. Eddie. I have an unusually large tongue. Scott. What kind? A.K.A. Two-Shirt Shakur. I did not wear two T-shirts. Boston Rob. The last two years of my high school career, I went to Catholic school. And Ashley. I, other people's feet. The Mikey Show's on. Tell me a lie, I'm nerd alert. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show at 837. Billy Crystal signed a one-day contract to play with the Yankees today as his birthday present. I think I need to go home. I can't. I'm so mad right now. Oh, dude. You should have heard him in the hallway. I don't want to. Celebrating and all that stuff. Oh, man. We're not going to hear the end of this. That was the funnest thing I've ever done in my life. What happened to his microphone? Something happened to his mic. I don't know what happened to Rob's mic. Technical difficulties.
You know what? This is something that I did not expect. Something happened to his mic. My gaming experience actually screwed me up. What do you mean? It was like I was dyslexic. Go ahead, Eddie. The controllers were completely reversed on Xbox than they were on PlayStation. I'm an idiot. It's my own fault. When you play those games, right, and you play them a lot like Eddie does, There are certain things that you do automatically. It was all instinct. It was all instinct. Don't think about it. And that's the way you have to play those games. You can't really think because it goes so fast. Can I ask a question? Yes, Ashley. Why have we this entire time been saying we're going to play PS3 when it was Xbox? I have no idea. I showed up and it was Xbox. I have no idea. I will say this. If you're such a gamer, shouldn't you be good on all consoles? No, really. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Rob, you did really well, though. Thank you. I'm telling you, Rob, it was like playing backwards. I play PS2, dude. I got Tiger Woods golf at home and baseball games. But I play it all the time. And so, like, when I thought I was hitting a certain receiver, I was doing the opposite. Eddie. Okay, so in four quarters, you couldn't have changed it? Robert. It was all instinct, dude. I just couldn't figure it out. Rob, Eddie. Listen, you played awesome, dude. I have an idea. I have an idea. I'm a jerk. I hate that. I have an idea. Hey, listen. Listen.
Eddie is going to pay off the bet tomorrow. Absolutely. No problem. He's a man of his word. He's going to pay off tomorrow. However, all I'm saying is... Make Zep do it. All I'm saying is... Oh. Why not a rematch on... PS2 or PS2. Why can't we just... I would love it. Give Rob the credit he deserves. He won, huh? Or let's just play a real football. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, we are. A real football. I don't think that we are. Let's just play a real football. Wait, hang on a second. How would I play? Hang on. Hang on a second. Time out. Time out. Hang on a second. I have congratulated Boston Rob. It was a great victory. Secretly in the hallway. It's not like he has complained. I'm not saying anything about Boston Rob. I'm not saying anything about Boston Rob. He deserves it. He won. Fair and square. But I'm just trying to explain why I feel terribly. That's it. Hey, listen. Eddie's taking it like a man. Tomorrow, he's going to have to pay the bet off. And he will. There's no doubt about it. He'll pay it off. I'm just so happy right now. All I'm saying is... I'm so happy. I am. I'm sorry. You should have heard him in the hallway.
He's smiling and skipping like the guy was skipping down the hall. I didn't think I had a chance. And everyone's like rooting against me. And those little legs were carrying him all the way down to this. It was cute. It was like he was skipping down the yellow. A little kidney candy store. It's like you finally get to beat your older brother at something. He's so good. He always rubs it in your face. He's always, you know, giving you noogies, beat you up. And finally, there's that one day where the ray of sun breaks through the clouds and shines down on you. And you're just like, thank you, God, for this. For this. Because if there's anything I can do correct in my life, I know that today is the day. And the few and far between that supported me, I just want to say thank you. Because there's not many of us. And we're celebrating when I got home today. I don't think I've ever heard of him. He's preaching and everything. And everything. Finally. All on my own. All by myself. I'm a grown ass man. I'm a grown ass man. I'd like to thank the Red Sox and Robert Kraft. And I'd like to thank Mario Tino. And Curt Schilling and the Bloody Sox. And Tom Brady. You're forgiven. You're forgiven. This is awesome. Thank you.
And go Celtics! Thank you. That's Boston Rob, everybody. 570-1053. Well, congrats. Yes. Well, he's not that excited. I mean, a lot of people think he's not that excited. I mean, you know what I mean? Thank you very much. So, you can text us at 35253. 35253. And if you are not a member of the P1 Text Army, then text the word Mikey, M-I-K-E-Y, to 35253. You will then be in the Mikey Show text army. And you can text us anytime you want. I haven't seen an upset like this since the Super Bowl, Mike. That's right. That's right. Boston Rob is screening phone calls. He's still got a smile. Like, that smile has not waned one tiny bit. Sorry, I give it to the kid. Hey, listen. While they were cheering against him, every time something good would happen, like you would see this, it's like he said, this little ray of sunshine broke free on his face. Yeah. And he got so excited. He was so excited. But then towards the end when he was rolling on the ground, I mean, that was just ridiculous. Just rubbing it in at that point. But I have to say it was pretty funny when Eddie was mocking it back when he scored his next touchdown. Let's see. P1 Clint dog. Yeah.
I just want to say congratulations, V-Rob, but V-Rob's right, though. If you're a gamer, you should be able to adjust to it. All you got to do is go to the option and change your controls around and whatnot, you know? Oh, you can do that? Eddie, you can change the controls? I didn't know. Oh, bummer. Yeah, change the button settings and stuff like that. That probably would have helped you. Holy Toledo. Oh, jeez. My voice, completely hoarse. I know it, right? But you did a great job. I was impressed with your... You're calling, yeah. I was screaming in there. You did really well, though. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. I told them during the break, I said, this is really kind of a fun exercise. And from what I'm hearing from people that are emailing us, it looked great online. Awesome. It looked amazing online. It just, everything synced up and you were able to see the action of the game online really, really well. Nice. Yeah, it was really cool. So, yeah, people really enjoyed it. And if we ever do that again, we'll do it the exact same way because that really worked out. I love it. I would love it. Mikey Show. I don't even know what the rules are of football. I wonder. Is there like a strawberry shortcake game or something we can play? Sky, is there any video game that you've enjoyed? I don't know. I know how to play the World Series of Poker. I see. Now, what about like old school?
Pac-Man. Oh, I know a game that she's real good at. Oh, yeah. Sean. That's hilarious. No, I've never really played games. Back in the day, you didn't do any... No Donkey Kong, no Ms. Pac-Man, no Pac-Man, none of that stuff. I mean, like, at the pizza place. As soon as he started playing this right now, as soon as I heard the sound effect, I instantly... smelled the arcade from when I was like 11. Right. It was so weird, that sensation of what just happened. Well, you know, like when you would walk into the arcade, it had a smell. Oh, yeah, for sure. It was all those electronics and all the sort of food. Quarters and little boy B.O. Yes. No, seriously, it really was. It was like little kid B.O. It was a little bit of the electronics and like the, when they got, when the machines warmed up.
they put off a little bit of a smell. And I just smelled it as soon as he played Frogger. That was really cool. B-Rob putting through some calls to congratulate him. P1 Andrew. I'm surprised. Andrew, go ahead. I've been trying to call all day. I just wanted to say, hey, all the way, man, three times the charm. Charge got beat two years ago. They got beat last year by the Patriots. Their time was the sweetest time of all. I find it very hard to believe that he let this go through. That's all there is right now. I can't believe he did it. You want to have Mike pick up the lines. I don't care. Mikey, what's up? What's up, Chris? I'm just thinking, if you guys do a rematch, what if Eddie wins? How about just go two out of three? And if, Eddie, you don't win, you've got to wear the Shamu suit. Oh, no. The Shamu suit. I'll bet you B-Rob would wear a tutu for a week. I would rather do that.
Thank you for the call. Oh, man. So, can I tell the story now? I'd really like to tell a story now. Oh, you sit back down, Seth. Go ahead and sit back down. I don't know what's going on, and it scares me. Well, as you know. What's going on, Mike? Well, let me tell you, Sky. Yeah, let's talk about it. We got this friend on the show. His name is Seth. Oh, yeah, I know. I've heard of him. He sits right over there. He mumbles a lot. He does. A little hard to understand, yeah. But let me tell you about Zeth. We love him. We do. True. We do. We love him a lot. And, you know, we give him a hard time. But we really do love him. And so his birthday's coming up. And so he had this idea that he hit us up with. Yeah. And he says, hey, I'd like to get all the friends together and have us go out to a dinner. Oh, yeah. We've been talking about it for weeks. Yes, we have. And, you know, he's got a new girlfriend. Yeah. As you know. Are they officially boyfriend and girlfriend? Yes, they are. They made the commitment. And we were all wanting to meet her and everything. So we said, when are we going to meet her? He says, well, just email us. Well, what he was trying to say was, you'll meet her when we go out to this dinner. Oh, his birthday dinner. His birthday dinner. Yeah. So I get up very early. I gave my input. I said, I can go if it's in North County. And we were kind of throwing some places around. And finally, it was decided it's going to be Carl Strauss in Carlsbad. Correct.
And so I needed to get to work immediately, start to try to arrange the babysitting and get all that stuff done. Rebecca's looking into it. Rebecca finally says, I don't know that I can do that. I think I'm going to have to stay. So I got to make some changes with what I had just done. I make sure now I'm going to the thing, but Rebecca's going to stay. And Eddie and Sky, I'm assuming you guys have made some plans. I got to drive. you know, 45 minutes, and so my wife's getting off work early to go. Yeah, we have a friend coming in town. I made sure it was okay that the friend came along. He's actually really excited because he's a big fan of the show. So, yeah, we planned our whole day around it. Well, good thing I asked what I did then. What'd you ask? Well, I didn't really ask. I more of just made a statement to Zeth. I just wanted to confirm, and I said, so Zeth is standing here, and I said, Zeth, this was during, Commercial break, I said. So, Zeth, 6 o'clock, Carl Strauss, Carl's bad. And Zeth says, it's not happening anymore. What? Wait, it sounded like you said it's not happening anymore. He mumbles a lot. I'm sure he says it. What? We're not doing it? Is that what he said, Eddie? I can't understand. No, I don't. We're not, but. Because I wanted. I don't know. I'm sorry. What? And plus, Rebecca couldn't go.
Rebecca. And so we're not doing it. What are you talking about? That's what I said. And so he didn't tell anyone, though. So good thing I asked. Or we all would have shown up there tonight with no Zeth. Awesome. Well, what's going on? Why are we not doing it anymore? Why are we not doing it, Zeth? Is your mic on? Go ahead, Zeth. Zethian Oates, ladies and gentlemen. A lot of unforeseen circumstances. Like? Mike's wife can't go, which sucks. I would have liked for her to go. Well, we all would, but you know. Ashley can't make it. Why? Puppy. That puppy? The puppy can't be alone for like two hours? Well, it's not that I'm just only going to be...
gone for two hours like it's two hours of driving an hour and a half of dinner i would probably say the whole trip will be about a four-hour trip but that's not the only time i'm gonna be gone today i'm man you need a puppy sitter dude You've got to get a puppy sitter. No, I really don't, but today I'm stocked full of stuff to do, and I can't leave her the entire day, and I for sure can't leave her for four hours when she's supposed to be. That's her time to play. But your other stuff couldn't be rear-ranked. Well, I have plans today to walk with Rebecca, Mikey's wife. We made those plans like a month ago. Yeah, we understand. You don't hate the guy. Clearly. Priorities. And so that's taking up, like, my afternoon. I get it. It's his birthday. It's, like, once a year. It's going to come around again. Yeah, I mean, he'll be 23 again next year. Maybe the puppy can go on the walk. Oh. Okay, but that would, like, you have to factor in the drive. That would mean I'd have to drive. Because I had plans with Rebecca at noon, so I'm coming straight from work. So that's an extra 40 minutes of driving for me to go grab the puppy. Not to mention I don't allow her in my car. Plus an hour to go back to Carlsbad and then an hour again.
Sky, hello, use your head. I would have to go birthday shopping. I was never going to get him anything. That's not easy. I was never going to get him anything. Sky, use your head. If I took the puppy walking with us, I'd end up having dinner at Carl Strauss with you guys and Zeth. That's so not true. I told Zeth, of course I would have loved to go. All right, so Zeth, so Ash and my wife weren't going to be there, and so you shut it down? Well, yeah, plus I feel bad at making Eddie drive that far. You didn't even say that until I said it. This is all shenanigans. I brought that up to you a couple days ago. I told you I will be there wherever it is, whenever it is. That changes the fact that I feel bad about it. That's true. Hey, that's how he feels. And Rob's as poor as I am. I'm not going to make him spend money. I don't know that I've ever heard that terminology. All I know is it makes me uncomfortable. You don't know what that is? Well, I guess I do now. I'll tell you at the break.
Happy birthday. Yeah, happy birthday, Seth. Thanks, guys. Happy birthday to you. This angrily is me. Turning the big two, three. Well, yes, guy. I'm angry. This guy, of course. I'm angry. I mean, how can you not be? We all were going to Zeth's deal tonight. I wanted to see Zeth. I should never do it without him. Mikey, Mikey. You are listening to Manorock 105.3. Three days only. I digress, but my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. Of all time. In the history? In the history. The whole history of sports. I believe so. I can't believe I was a part of that. Wow. Well, you made history. Send us your text at 35253.
And if you're not a member of the P1 Text Army, just text the word Mikey to 35253. Is Lou Bush coming by today? I just sent him a text saying, are you coming? What did he... I haven't heard back yet. I see. All right. We'll see. Let's hope. Well, Lou is going to be opening a restaurant. Yeah. And so I am very excited, and he's probably going to come in here and tell us about it. Let's see. From Elliot Spitzer's resignation speech. Elliot Spitzer is the governor of New York. He's got in a prostitution ring and he resigned yesterday. Cut 11. In the past few days, I've begun to atone for my private failings with my wife, Soda, my children, and my entire family. The remorse I feel will always be with me. Words cannot describe how grateful I am.
for the love and compassion they have shown me. From those to whom much is given, much is expected. I have been given much. The love of my family, the faith and trust of the people of New York, and the chance to lead the state. I am deeply sorry that I did not live up to what was expected of me. To every New Yorker, and to all those who believed in what I tried to stand for, I sincerely apologize. I look at my time as governor, with a sense of what might have been. But I also know that as a public servant, I and the remarkable people with whom I worked have accomplished a great deal. There is much more to be done, and I cannot allow my private failings to disrupt the people's work. There it is. Now the girl, one of the girls that he had sex with, I guess had a MySpace page, and so...
The media got a hold of it, and it's all over the place. And so who is this girl, Skye? Her name is Ashley Dupree, and she is a 22-year-old from New Jersey, currently living in New York, trying to launch a singing career. She's a brunette, about 5'5", weighs about 105 pounds. She says she left home when she was about 17, at some point had been involved in drugs, was homeless. And was really trying to get her career going in New York. Cut 10. That's her. That's Kristen. Creative. Off the hook. And you know what's kind of crazy in regards to this? So Elliot Spitzer is standing down. So the lieutenant, stepping down. So the lieutenant governor will become the acting governor in New York. He will become New York's first African-American governor. as well as the first legally blind governor. Get out of here. Yeah. No way. That's crazy. What a trip. Yeah. That's interesting. Let's see. Tori Spelling is in this clip talking about, you know how this guy that she's married to, Dylan McDermott, he was married when she, like, met him. Yeah, they were both married, right? They were both married.
And they left their partners for each other. And so here she is talking about his ex-wife, cut 24. When she met the wife of the man she was having an affair with, the very same man she would later marry. I brought a knife in my purse. Hey, I've been in a lot of TV movies. A new side of Tori armed with a knife. My father's daughter, very creative. Yes, in her new book, Story. Storytelling, Tori jokingly reveals she had a weapon handy, just in case, when she first met Mary Jo Eustace, the estranged wife of her now husband, Dean McDermott. Dean asked Tori to meet Mary Jo for the sake of his son. Madly in love, she agreed. I was terrified. I'm completely non-confrontational. My whole family was like that. I think that was part of our family dynamic, which was the problem. We never spoke about anything, about emotions or about any problems. And we certainly never confronted each other. So she was carrying a knife around just in case the ex wanted to get her hands on her, I guess. That's crazy! Now, this is a strange story. Lindsay Lohan's dad is trying to shop a male version of the TV show The View, which I thought was already called the best damn sports show, period. It's called SportsCenter. Yeah, I mean, don't they already have that? Well, and actually, a few years back, there was a show called The Other Half.
That was kind of supposed to be the same thing with Mario Lopez and Danny Bonaduce, but it was such a flop and no dudes watched it that it was taken off the air. But yeah, Michael Owen is going around town pitching this idea and he wants Stephen Baldwin to be part of the... That'll make it work. Yeah. I seem to remember that being a daytime show that... the maria lopez deal the other half yeah which you know if more traditionally men are working during the day it doesn't make a lot of sense where there are a lot of stay-at-home moms and it makes sense for them to watch the view their home they you know i'm not really sure the thinking behind hey let's put a show for guys smack dab in the middle of the time where a lot of them are working Doesn't really make a lot of sense. I'm very smart. Not really. I wonder if we will get to a day where people will get credit for TiVo-ing and watching shows. For the ratings? Yeah. They keep now TiVo ratings. Do they really? Yeah. So does it apply to the ratings or is it a whole separate thing called TiVo ratings? It's basically called TiVo ratings. Do we know who wins the TiVo ratings? It would surprise you. Shows that traditionally aren't that huge in the Nielsen's.
do really well on TiVo. Like soap operas? No, like The Office. Really? The Office is huge TiVo watch show. Uh-huh. I know Survivor does real well. Yeah. A couple other ones like that. Can they tell if that means that the people are watching it, TiVo-ing it, viewing it back, or they're not watching it live, they're only taping it and watching it back? Yeah, they're not watching it live, they're watching it as, you know, watching it previously. Story program. Yeah. Wow. Did you guys hear about Southwest Airlines? Mm-mm. What's that? They grounded a bunch of their planes yesterday. Oh, I am so done with that. Is this because of that thing? I'm sure it is. Yeah. PR nightmare for them. Yeah, they grounded about 8% of their fleet yesterday to, you know, do inspections on them. That's crazy! They're like, fine. Yeah, they ended up... Gosh, if you guys want to complain about it, we'll look at them. They ended up having to cancel 139 flights yesterday to do that. Wow. I don't read the newspaper. Oh, thank you. Hey, guys. I got some pretty compelling audio here. When we come back, during a recent speech, the mayor of Detroit, his name is Kwame Kilpatrick, talks about being called. Oh, Sid. Yeah, thank you. Talks about being called the N-word. Oh, my gosh. And says that his critics and the news media operate with a lynch mob mentality. We'll play you that clip. This show, I listen to you guys every single day. Right.

I just wanted to tell you, you know, I called AIS and talked to a kid named Carlos out of Escondido and they saved me like $700 a quarter on my auto insurance. $700 a quarter? Yeah. I don't know what a quarter is. That's every three months or four months? It's every six months.
I don't think that's a quarter, but that's neither here nor there. All right, every six months they save you how much? $600 because I had it suspended on my record when I finally got my license when I was 25 years old. I never drove before. This guy is saving $1,200 a year by switching to AIS. Yep. That's phenomenal, dude. Yeah, I think I might go get some laser icers right now with that money. You should. You might as well. Hey, listen, in all seriousness, you're writing checks for so much less every month. You can use that money on yourself in a fun way. Yeah, I appreciate it. You know, it really helped me out. You know, when I was young, my mother used to sing me a lullaby. Oh, here we go with a lullaby again. What I'm telling you is, is that this was a very, very sweet, sweet lullaby. And it went like this. Just like this, man. A Yankee dude will be to town. Stanky Doodle. It's not a lullaby. Let me string it. Figure it out. Just hang on it. From the top. From the top. And a one and a two. A one, two, three. And Stanky Doodle came to town. Feeling kind of sickly. While you sleep, I'll cook you up and feed a bum to kidney. What? Hey, what's left? Five, three. Seven. Or excuse me. Nine, nineteen.

MikeyShow.com, keyword blogs. Okay, so you want to hear this. We're going to play the percentage game here in just a second. You want to hear this Detroit mayor? Yeah. So yeah, his name is Kwame Kilpatrick. And he was kind of going off on the media. This is a clip from CNN, courtesy of WXYZ. Cut 15. In the past 30 days, I've been called a n*** more than any time in my entire life. In the past 30 days. Three days, I've received more death threats than I have in my entire administration. I've heard these words before, but I've never heard people say them about my wife and children. I have to say this because it's very personal to me. I don't believe that a Nielsen rating is worth the life of my children or your children. How do we applaud him?
This unethical, illegal, lynch mob mentality has to stop. We've never been in a situation like this before, where you can say anything, do anything, have no facts, no research, no nothing, and you can launch a hate-driven, bigoted assault on a family. What's the problem? Why are they upset? Yeah. I believe that this is the same mayor that cheated on his wife and was using city-owned phones. Is this the same guy or no? I don't know. I thought it was. Yeah. I thought it was the mayor of Detroit. So, in other words, he's doing a little look over here. I think so. It was like a month ago. Yeah, I remember that. Sexually explicit text messages to one of his former aides. Yeah, and, well, listen, here's the deal.
People are weird, but really strange. And so they're going to hate you, Mayor Kilpatrick, no matter what. When you did the thing, there is the segment of the audience that when somebody does something terrible, there is a segment of the population who will reach out to them in a hateful way. It's a bizarre thing. Like they're the morality police. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like, I'm sure that there are people that are writing this governor of New York. Me, myself, whatever. I don't really. You're not writing them? I'm not writing those letters. But you're calling, right? I'm calling. I've been leaving a ton of messages. Smoke signals. That's right. But there is a, you know, a segment of the population. In fact, you're probably listening right now. There's those of you that have at one time in your life.
You've written a hate letter or a hate email. And, you know, this is what I know about you for sure. And I can say this with the Lord listening to me. I know this for sure about the people that write it to him and about the people that are listening that are writing right now. You are so, and you know this is true. When I say this, you're going to go, first you're going to get mad because the anger is hurt, sadness, or fear. And you're going to be hurt by what I say. You're going to be saddened by what I say. And you're going to be fearful that it's true, even though you don't really have to question it because you know it's true what I'm about to say. But those of you that have ever written, for instance, me a hate letter, or anyone else on the radio, or anybody in the media, or have you ever written one of these hate emails or letters or whatever, you're super unhappy and you know it. you're really, really unhappy. When you evaluate you, when you get up every day and either brush them or don't brush them, I don't know if you do. Who knows what your oral hygiene is about. I don't know. But while you're brushing them or not brushing them, there is no doubt in my mind that as you're looking in that mirror, the person reflected, you don't like them much.
Very much at all. Because the guy that doesn't write that letter, he may not be skipping down the hallway like Rob was earlier. He may not be doing that. Because I won, Mike. That's why. He may not be doing that. But he's not. See, the guy that doesn't write those is, I can't say that he's necessarily happy. I can't say that with any degree of assuredness. I wouldn't put very much money on it at a Vegas bookmaker. But the guy that is writing the hate stuff, guaranteed is unhappy. So to the mayor, you got to say, well, Mayor Kilpatrick, no matter what, you're going to get the wackies that write you the stuff no matter what. But don't single out the fact that they were putting racial stuff in there because if it wasn't that, it'd be that you were fat. Yeah, it'd be something. What they're really writing about is what you did, which was the cheating thing. And so that's what they're writing about. There was something about you cheating, Mayor Kilpatrick, that made them, that hurt their feelings or made them sad or fearful. Let me give you some examples. Maybe they were hurt that they voted for you. And so when you cheated the way that you did,
It made them feel like a fool because they voted for you. And maybe they even told people in their office how great you were. So when you did this, it hurt them. Or maybe they were saddened by it because it brought back all those memories of when their dad did it to their mom. Or maybe it made them fearful because they're doing it too. And they're like, oh, you got caught on the cell phone. I'm using my cell phone to do the same. Oh, no, you. So that's just how it works. That's just how it works. But this whole idea of the race thing, come on. It's not about race, Mayor Kilpatrick. Eddie said it when he goes, that speech was about sort of waving his arms and going, I can't believe the amount of racial hatred out there. It's like, shame on you people. Yeah, I mean, you guys are so racist.
The media and race, race. It's not really about that. What they're doing, I'm making a point to say, is wacky, man. What they're doing is whacked out. I'm just telling you. That's how I see it. How dare he? How dare he? Did you hear me? You guys want to do some percentage game? We got some... Interesting percentages here. Sean said he wants to go first every time. Oh, I did hear him say that. He said it. He can't do it. He IM'd it. He can't do it. This is going to be a complete random drawing, and here is your first one. Thank you, Mike. Percentage of adult conversations involving cursing. We'll begin with Sean. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma. 67%, Mike. Sean says 67%. Eddie. Yeah, I mean, I would think it'd probably be pretty high. I'm going to go out on a limb and say 68%. 68%. Wonderful guesses. One over Sean's. Shut up, Sky. Don't just say it. I mean, wow, to come up with such a number like that. Don't just say it. Keep it to yourself. Seth, how about you? 75%. 75%. Ashley, what do you think? 54%. 54%. Rob? 79%. 79%. And finally, Sky.
74%. Oh, wow. 74%. Ladies and gentlemen, Ashley is the closest. Statistics say that 13% of adult conversations involve cursing. Lies. Lies. That's not true. They don't hang out with us enough. I'm telling you. What? That's what the percentage says. 13% don't. Who did that? The Watchtower? Man. All right, you guys ready for this one? Yeah. Percentage of prisoners who actually apologize for their crime in their final words before being executed. Oh, wow. Wow. All right, Ashley, you one last time. You begin. 8%. Sean. 20. Rob. 16. Eddie. I got to think it's more. Their final words? Mm-hmm.
I want to say 21%. But Eddie, that's 1% over what Sean said, which drives him nuts. I'm sorry about that, but I mean, I'm just giving you a number that popped into my head. No, it didn't just pop into your head. Oh, Sean, calm down. Sky, what do you think? 25%. 25. Zeth, 11. Ladies and gentlemen, Sky was the closest. As it turns out, 28%. 70% of prisoners apologize for their crime in their final words before being executed. Interesting, right? I mean, I guess most of us think that they would be like, I'm not going to do that. We hear that kind of, I've heard that before. Yeah. That they go to them for their last words and they're like, I don't have anything to say. Yeah. So that means that like 78% are innocent. Are you sure?
Good statistic, Eddie. Could be what it is, right? A lot of innocent people out there. Eddie, what would your last meal be if you were going to be executed and you get to choose anything? What would your last meal be? Wow. Popcorn seeds. Popcorn seeds? They electrocuted you? Oh, my gosh. You are the worst. Always trying to prank someone. It's got to go out as a clown. Going out as a clown. That's it. Yeah, great, dude. Always got to be over there being a clown, right? Ridiculous. Eddie, I want you to think about it. I don't know. I want all you guys to think about it. In fact, I would love people to call in about it. 5701053. What's your last meal be? Choose anything you want. And I'm not talking about choosing something within reason. I'm saying you get to decide. What do you want? It's your last meal. Maybe it's In-N-Out, but maybe it's a full-on Thanksgiving dinner. It's up to you. 570-1053. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Hey, check this out.

And Pedro simply does a shot, looks back at them and winks. Wow. Which I think that wink says to them, nanny nanny boo boo number one, but also says, listen, we don't want to punish our customers. You could text message us at 35253. If you are in the Mikey Show P1 Text Army, if you are not in the Mikey Show P1 Text Army, you've got to get in it. Just text the word Mikey to 35253 if you are in it. Text us and let us know. What would you have as your last meal? These are some of the texts we're getting. My last meal would be Benihana. P1 Big Worm. That ain't bad, man.
That ain't bad. So good. Another one says, my last meal would be never-ending salad at Olive Garden. Oh, another great call. Another good call. But with the breadsticks. You've got to mention the breadsticks. Could you get it all? Could you get that and Benihana? Oh, wow. That was from Uncle Jay, by the way. Yeah. This one says, I would want a full combo plate from the Garlic Festival. Oh, dude. Signed, P1 Gilroy. Nice. That sounds nice. This one says, hey, Mikey, I think it would be a good time to try that fish that has a chance to kill you. That's P1 Evic. Oh, the blowfish? Yeah, you know, the blowfish, if you don't cut it just right, it could kill you, but they say it's a delicacy. It's delicious. Either way, you're going down. Might as well. Odd. My last meal would be a spicy chicken burrito from Del Taco. That's signed P1 Beto. Oh, come on. That would not be mine. No. No. Better than that.
Cheesy bean and rice burritos from Taco Bell. As many as I can eat. Oh, come on. That's P1 Animal. It's your last meal. It's your last meal, man. You get to eat anything. You can have that any day. And the last one says my last meal would be green tea and rice cakes. Gross. Oh, my God. Disgusting. Who said that? I don't know. They're anonymous. Is that Boston Rob? Yeah, no kidding. That's way too many calories. Half a peanut, please. Yes. I will have a raisin. Eddie, what would it be? Well, it would have to be a combination of several things that my dad makes. So I would have to say they'd have to bring my dad in and give him a kitchen, and he'd cook up a different variety of things that I like. I would have to use it to eat that last day. Well, wait. I would have to do something to be in there with you. But I'm dying. All right. I'll take it. Me and you both having chicken wine stew. Yeah, definitely. Sky. Wow. This is really a doozy. Hello, Mike. What else would it be? She wants to be buried with it. Shut up. Come get some ham. Well, I love Benny Hanna. I'm thinking of opening a Hammy Hanna. Honey Baked. Benny Hammer. A Benny Hammer. Yeah. Sky, what would it be? Well, definitely cream cheese wontons from Pickup Sticks. Oh, my God. She loves those. She loves those. That is interesting. I mean, no doubt about that.
Get my wife on the phone. I've got to see what hers would be. Bread. Absolutely, dude. Butter. Salad from Olive Garden. Breadsticks from Pat and Oscars. No, Sky. You're already at the place with the best breadsticks. Don't go to Pat and Oscars now. Pat and Oscars blows away the Olive Garden. And I would like hot and sour soup from Viet Ho. Thank you very much. Well, I would have them reopen. In case I'll just take my normal meal. The combo plate? Yeah. Let's see. How about you, Sean? What would you have? Mike, I would like a variety of things. Nice. Let's hear it. From the Persian restaurant down the street, I would like a Kubi Day kebab. Wait, stop, Sean. Stop, Sean. I'm sorry? The Detroit mayor was just offended. What? What is a Kobe Bryant kebab? What is that? No, no. I said Kubide kebab. Okay, what is that? Kubide is a mixture of ground beef and ground lamb. It's mixed with an egg and put on a special skewer and char broiled. That sounds good to me. It's really good. From the Ethiopian restaurant, I would like some Doro Wat.
And the special... Fedora what? No, it's Yadoro Watt. Yadoro what? Yadoro Watt. W-O-T. Watt. Watt means stew. Ethiopian stew. The craziest thing is that out of all of us, Sean stands the best chance to make this actually happen. Alright, so you would have some Tabor what? Okay. And then for dessert, from the Indian pastry shop down the street, I would like any one of their very sweet desserts where they take... What do you call those? Puff pastry. No, no, it's not puff pastry. Crickets. No, it's not donuts. A chocolate cake. No, they take, like, pistachios and they grind them up into a paste. And they form the paste. It's not dirt. And they form the paste into shapes of a watermelon. It's really good. Pill paste. It's not pill paste. We got my wife on the phone. Hello, darling. Hi, hon. Do you hear what we're talking about? Ashley filled me in, yeah. So what would... Not that I need to ask, but...
Because I already know. But tell everybody. Well, of course you know. What would your last meal be? Well, obviously In-N-Out. Wow. She loves In-N-Out. Well, best food ever. Loves In-N-Out burger. Well, it's so good. She'll even eat those fries, you know, when they're disgusting. Love those fries. You know, any time after three minutes. That's ridiculous. They're delicious the first three minutes they're out of the oil. And then you know what I want? I want a side of Pat and Oscar's breadsticks. Oh, there it is. Yum, yum. Put it on the board. You guys and those. All right, honey, I love you. I love you, too. Ashley, what would you have? Your last meal. This has been really tough because I've been, like, thinking about every food because I love everything. But I'm like, well, would I want to eat that before I die? No, that wouldn't sound good. Well, would I want to eat that before I die? No, that doesn't, like, I don't think I'd be able to eat anything before I die. I'd be so upset that I'm about to die that I would have no appetite. Yeah. How can you eat when you know you're about to die? Oh, I could. But it's been coming for a while, Ash. It's not like this was just sprung on you. Like, you've known this for, like, the last 25 years. You've had time to come to terms with it. Plus you're hungry. Yeah. Well, if that would be the case, then it would definitely, like, my ultimate favorite meal is, like,
a good Italian or Mexican meal and homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert, and I'd be good. I'd be straight. Yeah, but they wouldn't let you bake them yourself, and that's your favorite. Maybe a little Boston cream pie, and I'm good. There you go. It's a shout-out to you, Rob. Yeah, I appreciate that. Shout-out. Well, she murdered him, so that's why. That's right. Right. So, Rob, how many Tic Tacs could you down? That's nonsense. Come on, what would be your last meal? You could finally have the calories. Yeah, if I could have the calories, I'd go all out. I'd get this sandwich from this place in Martha's Vineyard called The News, but it's just basically... Hold on, hold on. I usually get it on the side. I get the Huey Lewis as my entree. That sucker on the side is good. No, it's just turkey, cranberry, and stuffing. I'm in, dude. They have this awesome, awesome bread that they bake there or something. Do they make that year-round? Oh, yeah. Year-round. Dude, why doesn't anybody do that? A turkey sandwich with cranberry and stuffing? That's good. It's so good. They do it with mayo, but you've got to ask for it without mayo. Seth, let me guess. Anything from Carl Strauss and Carlsbad would be... Correct, Mike.
What would be your last meal? Rob's sandwich sounds really good. Hold on. And then you get fries with it. And with the fries, you get apple cider vinegar and you dip the fries in it. I'm in on that. I'm in. It is so good. I'm in. I'm in. That sounds gross. That sounds gross. Ice cream sundae from Friendly's. Friendlies. For the six people out here that know what friendlies is. They make it into a happy face. It makes me happy. Shut up, dude. They do. They put the cone on top. You're adorable. You're adorable. Thank you. I agree. You are adorable. Seth, what would you have? Probably surf and turf. Like lobster and a steak. Lobster and steak. I would have... Well, first of all, I would have truffle fries from Pamplemousse. Duh. Yes. Of course. Duh. Of course. I would definitely have to get the truffle mash from Pamplemousse. You like a lot of truffle stuff, huh? Yeah. Truffle tastes like garlic and salt. I like that. Yeah. And, um. What do you like in Hawaii? Mocha Loka. I didn't even think of that. Yeah, think about that. It's really going to gross some people out when I tell you what it is. You love it.
It's called the Moco Loco. It's very traditional in Hawaii. They take a couple of lumps of rice. It's really fat-free, too. Virtually no calories in it. A couple of lumps of rice. They put a beef patty on top of it, a fried egg, and they pour gravy on it. Oh, wow. That's a Moco Loco. So, all right, let's take a couple of your phone calls. Mikey Show, P1 Andrew, what would be your last meal? A slice of pizza from Mom and Dom's restaurant. Where is that? It's in Claremont. It's on Shawline and Claremont Mesa, I think. Hands down, best pizza there is. If it's good enough to be your final meal, it's got to be good. Awesome! It sounds pretty good to me. Thank you, man. P1 Holly is on the line. Are you there, Holly? Yeah. And what would your last meal be? Well, I'm diabetic, so it would definitely be like cake and ice cream. There you go. There you go. About the pancakes with sugary syrup. Now, wait a minute. Isn't the deal, I thought that as a diabetic, you could eat that stuff, but you have to balance it out by giving yourself a certain amount of insulin. Yeah, but I mean, you're really not supposed to eat it. It's really bad for you. You can, but it's not the best. You're just going down anyway. Who cares? Yeah, sure. They're going to be throwing those...
Throwing those chemicals into any second, so go for it, man. Yeah, definitely. Thank you, Holly. Uh-huh, thanks. P1 school teacher, what would your last meal be? My last meal doesn't have to be my buddy's chicken adobo on top of some white rice. Adobo is like a red sauce, right? Well, how he makes it, it's soy sauce, vinegar, some garlic in there, put some red peppers and all that stuff in there. Yep. Thank you very much. Mm-hmm. Man, we all have some... Very different last meals. Yeah, right? Very different. Okay, when we come back, a couple more percentages, and yeah, we'll do the thing. We'll get out of here. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Kurdi Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on a Costco mattress. Sleep Train was selling it for, I think, around $1,000. And then the Costco price was like $500 something. So they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store. And there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great. My last meal would be Armenian garlic chicken chilies, half rack ribs, and Monterey chicken with a Dr. Pepper and English toffee bread pudding. This person says my last meal would be a prime steak from Ruth's Chris and some bread from Panera. Love you guys, P1 Lions fan. Mikey, my last meal would include crab legs, a Reese's peanut butter cup, and an artichoke. Oh, wow. That is delicious. That's from P1 Pumpernickel. Great combo.
Yeah. This one says, I would get a five-gallon bucket of chicken wings from Wings and Things. Yeah, I've never eaten there. Is that any good, the wings at Wings and Things? They're good. I don't think I've eaten there either. Yeah, I've never. I've seen it a million times, never had it. Where is there one? I know there's one in PB. I think there's one... There's one in Escondido. Yeah, yeah. Escondido. I would have it with a nice tall glass of Stone Brew, signed P1 dollar beer. That guy obviously lives in Escondido. Thank you, North County. What up? Mikey, I'll tell you what I would have. The finest meal there is. Joe's Crab Shack. Oh, yeah. That was from Gunslinger. Thank you very much. Wow, that was funny. I really thought it was from Lou. I was like, so Lou is going to text Lou and not... Takes you a second, but then when it hits... That was funny. Thank you very much. Awesome. Good one. The question is, percentage of Americans who attend church at least once a month. Percentage of Americans who attend church at least once a month. Eddie. Depends if we're in a red state or not, Mike. I want to go 22%. 22%. Wow. Interesting. Shawnee, oh boy. This is percentage that do attend?
Yes, this is the percentage of Americans that do attend church at least once a month. Be serious. I'm being serious. I know. Don't say something under my number or over my number by one. Okay. Then I will say 23%. No, I said don't do that. I said don't do that. 23%. Okay, got it. Eddie said 23%. And then Sean said 23%. It's all right. I nailed it on the nose. It's all good. Sky. See, I was thinking it was a bit higher. I'm going to go 42%. Zethianites. 70%. 70%, Zeth says. Ashley. 36%. Rob. 48%. Ladies and gentlemen. Yeah, say it. Me. The man of the hour. Zeth was the closest. Rob. With 70%. Really? Yeah, well, he said 70%. Never heard of it. It's actually 60%. Really? U.S. Americans. That is shocking. That attend church at least once per month. That's good. Percentage of people who have ended a romantic relationship because they're a cat. Oh, man. 100%. Cats do not provide milk or wool or meat.
Percentage of people who have ended a romantic relationship because of their cat. We will begin with Skye. 8%. Oh, come on. Coming from you? Ashley. I don't know. 20%. Boston Rob. 47%. Shawnee O'Bigg. 50%. Sean says 50%. Next up is Eddie. Be cool, dude. Oh, whoa. Well, honestly, I think I have a pretty good guess on this one. I don't think it's quite as high as Sean saying. If I were to take a legitimate guess. Or quite as low. I was going to say, I'm going to go out on a limb and say 49%. Zef, 19%. Looks like I was the closest. Oh, yeah.
Because they say that 11% of U.S. Americans have ended a romantic relationship because of their cat. I will say this, though. Eddie was closer than Sean. That's true. I always win. And he was, in fact, closer. He was, in fact, closer. Shut up, Rob. On that one. Get him, Rob. Hey, I thought you had my back. You turned on me. Not really. Oh, you're right. I hate Rob. Wait a minute. We're a great team. Let's do one more. All right. All right. Percentage of Americans who would prefer having a female boss. Zero. Percentage of U.S. Americans who would prefer having a female boss. Eddie. Well, if it's Shauna, maybe. Um. I'm going to say 35%. Sky. Booyah! I'm going to say 50%. Come on. Sean. Can we do negative numbers on this? Shut up! I got to go low. I'm going to say like 20%. Ashley. 65%. Austin Rob. What's the highest number out there, Mike? The highest number is 65%.
Ashley said 65%. Okay, I'll go 66. Ooh. Zeth, 40. You did that on purpose. That's right. The closest was Shawnee O'Boy. In your face, Rob. In your face, Rob. All right, well, you still lost. 22% of U.S. Americans would prefer having a female boss. Sounds about right. How about that? Uh. Tomorrow is Friday. We will be having some folks hanging out in the studio. What's going on after the show, though? After the show, Rob, it's funny that you mention it. Just asking. Something happened earlier today where somebody won and somebody lost and something is going on. That is true. I will remember this, Rob. Oh, no. I cannot wait. Let's take some pitches after the show. I'll do whatever. I'll do whatever. The whole thing's documented. You can check it out at MikeyShow.com right now. That means you got to milk it, Rob. You got to milk it. I got to want it. Milk it. So, here is the deal. Boston Rob won today when Eddie and Rob competed in Madden 08. 49-20. Final score. So that means that tomorrow Eddie will have to wear...
A ridiculous costume at our P1 appearance at Joe's Crab Shack in Mission Valley. I'll dress up like a Patriot fan. There you go. Calamari. We'll be there from noon to one tomorrow. So you're going to be a clown. Yeah, exactly. Joe's Crab Shack in Mission Valley. Yeah, dude, I think it'll be stupendous. That's right. I think it'll be absolutely sexy, dude. All right, great. I have a suggestion for the outfit. Please. I think it should be Sean's furry. Oh, I love it. No way, dude. Sean would never give those up, though. Yeah, he's never giving that up. That's right.
