Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley and Boston Rob moved between personal stories and recurring comedy bits, including Gravy Beard's poker comeback, a fan-built tribute podcast, one-word tattoos and a fierce argument over shepherd's pie. The show also covered Tiger Woods's 25-foot winning putt and turned Boston Rob's uninformed attacks on M. Night Shyamalan into a prolonged showdown with Eddie. Serious debate broke out when Mikey questioned whether students protesting teacher cuts truly cared and when caller Lisa argued that her teenage daughter Allison should dress sexier to attract dates; the other hosts and callers largely pushed back. The crew examined Barack Obama's response to Reverend Jeremiah Wright's sermons and ended on Dennis and Kimberly Quaid's account of their twins' hospital overdose and their campaign for safer medical systems.

What happened, in order

  1. Gravy Beard's comeback

Former professional poker player Budweiser, nicknamed Gravy Beard, recovered from a tiny chip stack to win Sky's home tournament and guarantee himself years of renewed confidence.

  2. The fishbowl house

Eddie and his wife loved a model home but rejected the last available version because a house squeezed onto the hill would look directly into their backyard and bedroom.

  3. Tiger's impossible putt

Tiger Woods sank a 25-foot birdie on the 18th hole to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational, prompting the hosts to joke that his fifth straight PGA Tour victory looked like witchcraft.

  4. The fan-made show

P1 Danny, Quimby, Talon and Spaceboy stayed up until 4 a.m. building a miniature studio and recording a podcast that recapped and paid tribute to The Mikey Show.

  5. The Wright controversy

The crew played Reverend Jeremiah Wright's inflammatory sermons, then debated whether Barack Obama could credibly reject the remarks while explaining his long relationship with the pastor.

  6. Lady Bird steal

In the Dumb Chick Challenge, Ashley guessed that Claudia Johnson was called 'CJ,' but Sky stole the three points with 'Lady Bird' and quickly won by identifying Richard Nixon.

  7. Students or slackers

Mikey argued that many Rancho Bernardo students protesting teacher cuts mainly wanted to skip class, while Ashley and callers insisted that some students genuinely feared losing teachers they valued.

  8. One-word tattoos

The hosts chose revealing one-word tattoos—Eddie picked 'warrior,' Sky picked 'peace,' Boston Rob planned 'loyalty,' and callers offered everything from 'honor' to a VOID stamp over an ex-wife's name.

  9. Mom wants a makeover

Caller Lisa wanted her shy high-school daughter Allison to dress sexier and get dates, but the crew and callers argued that she should respect the girl's style instead of tying popularity to revealing clothes.

  10. Shepherd's pie standoff

Sky rejected shepherd's pie as an uncontrolled mix of meat, gravy, vegetables and mashed potatoes while Eddie, Mikey, Sean and callers became comically determined to make her try it.

  11. Shyamalan showdown

Boston Rob mocked M. Night Shyamalan's films despite never seeing one, repeatedly confusing Unbreakable and Signs with unrelated movies until devoted fan Eddie threatened to choke him.

  12. The Quaid overdose

Dennis and Kimberly Quaid described how their newborn twins received two massive heparin overdoses, then said they would press Cedars-Sinai for safety reforms rather than sue the hospital.
