Ashley described a showdown between dog owners and schoolchildren over a shared field, and caller P1 Cardiff argued that dog waste made the space unsuitable even when owners cleaned up. Brandy sought advice about a supervisor's body odor, while Skye triggered a separate argument by secretly paying to mow her neighbors' lawn and defending the intrusion as a favor. Wally surprised Mary with a live proposal and she accepted, after which the crew staged a generic-brand test, ridiculed Ashley's dog Lennon, and recoiled from Boston Rob's overnight turkey sandwich. The show also mocked Hillary Clinton's bowling joke, delighted in Adeline's sung voicemail, and argued that David Cook and American Idol failed to properly credit Chris Cornell's Billie Jean arrangement.
What happened, in order
Dog Park War
Ashley described elementary-school children protesting her group of responsible dog owners, launching a fight over whether the shared public field should welcome leashed dogs.
The Smelly Supervisor
Brandy asked how to tell a supervisor and lunch companion that she had severe body odor, and Mikey argued that a kind but direct private conversation was necessary.
Hillary's Bowl-Off
The crew mocked Hillary Clinton's April Fools' challenge to settle the Democratic race with Barack Obama by bowling, while Barbara called in to defend Clinton and spar with them.
Secret Live Proposal
Wally brought Mary into the studio under the guise of a prize visit, proposed live on the air, and received an immediate yes and a tearful embrace.
Skye Mows Next Door
Skye revealed that she paid a gardener to mow her absent neighbors' overgrown lawn without permission, insisting it was helpful while the crew and callers called it selfish and intrusive.
Brand-Name Showdown
Mikey and the crew argued over generic versus brand-name goods, then compared eye drops, tissues, and sandwich cookies and discovered the generic cookies were nearly indistinguishable.
Lennon Gets Roasted
After seeing photos on Ashley's blog, the crew relentlessly called her dog Lennon ugly, old-looking, and ferocious while Ashley defended her as adorable.
The Overnight Sandwich
Boston Rob ate a turkey sandwich that had spent the night in his car even after admitting that the turkey smelled and tasted like tuna.
Adeline's Spring Message
Boston Rob's mother Adeline left word that she loved him, prompting the crew to play her solemnly sung springtime answering-machine greeting and celebrate her eccentric personality.
Billie Jean Credit Fight
The crew accused American Idol of presenting David Cook's performance of Billie Jean as original even though it copied Chris Cornell's arrangement note for note.

is 6-0-6. The father of the Oceanside boy who was shot by an off-duty police officer has filed a claim against the city of San Diego. This has to look familiar to Padre fans. Good pitching and just enough offense. They win again beating the Astros 2-1. Week's flying by. It's early Wednesday. Seems like we just started. Bones. 5-7-0-1-0-5-3. My wristwatch is slowing down. It's about two minutes behind. Drives me nuts. Those two minutes mean a lot. You know, they... I'm very timely. Try to be very timely. And so if I'm two minutes off, it's uncomfortable for me. Eddie didn't wear a wristwatch. He just never liked him, right? No, I used to wear it all the time. And then I got sick and lost a bunch of weight and it didn't fit me anymore. So I stopped wearing it and then I never put it back on. Oh, my. But I'd like to. What about you, Skye? No. I mean, I used to like 10 years ago, but I'm over it. You're over it. Yeah, I got my cell phone now.
If they got like a nice hemp watch though, right? Oh. And it looked kind of bedazzling. No, I'm not really into accessories. It's so strange, man. Watches are such a personality thing. Like my dad, he likes the leather band. No way. Whoa. I mean, I just, I don't go that way. He loves the leather, you know, because he's an older guy. And he also really likes. To him, the classiest, most elegant thing in the world is the rectangle shape of a watch. That is like, Dad, it looks like a grandfather clock on your wrist. But he loves it. To him, that's the coolest thing ever. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. I have the sinus infection back again.
Yeah, the doctor made me, no, it's not contagious. I mean, I get it because I have what they call a deviated septum. So it's not contagious. It means that the inside of everybody's nasal passage is straight, but mine bends a little bit, like Beckham. And so the guy, I went in there, and the guy says, well, let me give you some spray. And he said, that works the best. I said, I can't take the spray. When I put the spray, I get infected. Because like normal people, that stuff can drain. For me, it can't. Please. Please. And so I got these, you know, giveaway pills, you know, the kind they give away. Yeah. Samples. Yeah. And it works less effectively than what I was using, which is why I went. I said, listen, this Claritin's not doing the job. And then I thought to myself, well, what if I did the thing? Because I think Ashley went in and got like stabbed. You can get stabbed with the little needles like 80 times to figure out exactly what you're allergic to. But I thought to myself, OK, let's say that they find out that it's like cats that I'm allergic to. Are they going to put me on Catracil? Like, is there a specific pill for cats? You know, like, what's the point of going through all the stuff?
to find out the exact thing I'm allergic to unless there's a pill for that specific thing. Well, it'll let you know what to avoid. Like, say you're... I can't get rid of the cats. Well, yeah, but say you're allergic to, like, wheat. I mean, you could cut wheat out of your diet. It goes even further than that because it'll, like, let you know exactly what you're allergic to, like, exactly what you're allergic to in terms of, like, grass or pollen or whatever. And then if you want to do the allergy shots, that's what will build your immune system to fight. You did it. You did it, right? Oh, yeah. Did it work? Oh, yeah. Big time. I think I might have to. Who do I go see, Ash? You're going to hate it. Do I go to a regular doc, or who do I do that with? No, you have to go, like, I went through an allergy specialist to get my back tested out, and then, I mean, it flared up like crazy. I was allergic to everything. And then I had to go twice a week, two shots in each arm, and then you build an immunity. So then eventually you're going once a week. Then eventually, if you luck out, you're going every two weeks. Once a month. But that takes, like, years. Come on. Oh, I was going for two and a half, three years. And it's brutal. When they give you the shots, you know it's like a flu shot and you get the flu? Yeah. So when you get an allergy shot, they're injecting you with everything you're allergic to. So sometimes my arms would get so itchy, my chest would get so itchy, like my throat would close up. And it'd be, like, for a couple hours after getting the shots. Really? Because it'd be building up my immune system. Ay-yi-yi. It's awful.
But worth it. When are they going to come up with something? You know what I mean? Because it's one thing when I get the sinus pressure headache and all that stuff. But it's another thing every two months, it seems like. If even that, I feel like I have a sore throat. I think I'm getting a cold. And then I realize, no, I have that pain in the back of my eyeballs. It's sinus. It's terrible. It's worth it to do the shots, though. I'm thinking about it, Ash. It's worth it. I might do it. I'm 37. And, yeah, I got a deviated septum, so we'll see you tomorrow. Eddie's our producer, our sports guy. He's 34, but not for long, dude. Six more days, he'll be 35. Wow. Wow. I'll officially be the middle-aged guy. We're all getting older. Did you guys know that? Yeah. I read it the other day on they.com. They said, we're all getting older. That's true. Great site.
Let's see. Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years of age. She is a homeowner, a married woman, and a cat lover. Yes, those are true facts. She loves cats, man. She does not declaw them. I'm going crazy last night. She likes them to be able to have their natural stuff. So every once in a while, you know, they'll grab onto something and they'll just start going, yeah, it feels good. And Skye will live with it. One time, they made an incision in her breast. The cats did. And then she threw the cat away like, ow, that hurt my breast. And then, unfortunately, her husband was standing there. Oh, no. Opposite. He was not standing? No. He was hurt first, and then he threw the cat on me. Okay. Opposite way. What happens is, now, was he all natural at the time, or was he wearing a pair of shorts?
He was wearing a pair of shorts, but those, like, very, like, thin, like, parachute-y type material shorts. Yes. Running around like Richard Simmons? He works in the garden in them. I don't know. He likes the garden and dolphin shorts. Who doesn't? Who doesn't? Well, they're not dolphins. That's odd. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Well, what happened was the cat jumped on her husband. Yeah. And because the cat is not declawed. hit a very sensitive area, hurt him, he tossed the cat away, and then the cat gave Sky a mammogram. It's called a mastectomy. A mastectomy. Right there with its claws. Let's see. Shawnee, oh boy. 38 years old. 38 years of age. Handsome dresser. Got a nice collar on. He's going to pop it later. Pop the collar. That's right. Sean is, there's an interesting fact about Sean. Sean is a fan not only of 80s music in general, but he loves old school hip hop. What? Oh, dude, did you know that about Sean? No. Sean, like, not only does he love it, but he is very knowledgeable in it. And listen, I couldn't know less about it. I don't know.
Very much about the 80s hip-hop, but Sean, man. Old school rap, right, Sean? Yeah. Talk some of that right now. Like, tell me some of that stuff. Talk some of that. Yeah, give me some of that. You know, like, Public Enemy is one of my favorite groups of all time. Whoa. Also, like, old school LL Cool J, you know, my radio. What's up, Cool Mo D, dude? Yeah, Cool Mo D, absolutely Cool Mo D. You know what time it is. In fact, LL Cool J and Cool Mo D had a big rivalry for a long time. Can you go really far back, Sean? Like, you know, into the early 80s? Do you remember that stuff? Because you were telling me about it once. Yeah, sure. Like Run DMC, you know, King of Rock, when their first album came out. I mean, you know, that was fantastic. Weren't you into somebody called the Sugar Hill Gang? The Sugar... Or was that not you? No, I mean, it wasn't necessarily me, but I liked the Sugar Hill Gang. All right. So he's into that stuff. Yes. Loves it. Ashley is our assistant producer. She has blonde hair. How tall are you, Ash? I'm so tall. I'm 5'7 and a half. There you go, man. She's just like, it's like she should be playing in the female NBA. I hate it. Yeah, I know. It's hard being that tall. It is hard. I wish I was like 5'5. That's right. That'd be perfect. That's right. You'd tower over Rob. Yeah. Ashley is a dog lover. She loves dogs. Yeah, I do. Professional trainer. Professional trainer. Yeah. Of animals.
Not just dogs, but all wild beasts. No, no. Very knowledgeable in the dog training department. She can whisper to almost any wild coyote. Almost any one of them. She can communicate with a coyote. That's cool. Or any animal you might find on the African plains. That is true, too. I saw her one time at the wild animal park. Really? Her and I went one time on a Saturday when we used to have our... W-A-P-G. That was our wild animal park group. And we would go out there. And the group started because people were just thrilled watching Ashley communicate with wild beasts. And so there she would be talking to lion cubs. It was great. You doing anything interesting yesterday, kid? Well, there's a really big rivalry and war going on at the dog park. Really? What? Yeah, it's really crazy. Is it like a couple animals that don't like each other? Well, no, no. Oh, no, no. This is the deal. Like, basically, the dog park is actually a huge field. And the city owns it, but we are allowed to have our dogs there as long as they're leashed. And it's on an elementary school property, like, is right next to it, an elementary school.
So yesterday, there's me and all my dog friends, and it's the same group of people. We go every day. We're all friends. We all pick up after our dogs. Our dogs all get along. Do you carry little bags of poop? Yep. We carry little bags. We put them in the trash can. We're all very responsible with our puppies, whatever. And there was a huge group of 10-year-old kids with signs that said, no dogs allowed. Get your dogs out of here. With the teachers... Well, you know it was the teachers that started it. Of course. Kids love dogs, so the teachers started it. Oh, they were telling them what to yell. And these little 10-year-olds were screeching like crazy people. Get your dogs out! It was ridiculous. So now we're all mad. Would you eat your dog or eat your cat? Would you do that? It's like... ridiculous because we're not hurting anybody we're not doing anything wrong our dogs like need the exercise and why would these kids care like
well you should ask those grown-ups that are with the kids well what is the deal and then when the kids start to answer go no please i want to know who really is upset about it and then ask the grown-ups so what's the deal why are you grown-ups upset right and well one of the women who is more like forward and very she got right in the teachers faces and the teachers were so rude that we are like we're gonna go to the city and we're like getting a petition like we're like gonna raise help because they're trying to get us off the freaking field that's terrible that's terrible do you carry so where do you put the i have a question ash where do you carry the little tiny shovel that you there's no shovel there's no shovel no so do you have like a newspaper and you use the newspaper as a glove to put it in that would be gross okay do you use the paper bag itself as a glove i How do you do it? Well, it depends. For me, I... I kick it in with my bare foot. That's so gross. Because, you know, I'll go green. So, like, if I ever get a plastic bag, like, I will always just save them now. Tom friends. I'll just bring a plastic bag in my pocket and... Use my barbecue tongs. And so... And so I'll do that. But some of the dog owners, they're a lot better, like, cooler. And they'll have these cool little, like...
on the leash baggies you can pull. So what do you, what do you use? I recycle because I'm go green. So anytime I get a plastic bag, like Vons bag or whatever, I'll just save them all. And then I just use those. Oh, wow. And then, okay, wait, wait, wait, question, question, question. So, so when you, cause I've always, you know, I'm not a part of this world. So when you're out there, when you're out there and you use the Vons bag to do the scooping. Yeah. I'm guessing you take a few Vons bags, right? No, no, no, just one. Actually, in fact, what I'll do is I'll just bring one to the dog park. And then Sammy normally goes a couple times, right? So I will actually just rip off from the bag. I'll rip a portion of the bag and just use like that. And then I run to the trash can. Like a tortilla. Like a tortilla. Yeah, like a tortilla. Good morning, everybody. It's 621. Feezing. Feezing. Thank you, Sky. Go green. Yeah. Ashley's really into the whole green thing. I'm really going green. It is going green. It's not. It is. Yeah, Eddie, it is. No, Eddie, let me explain. Excuse me, guys. I'm going to explain it to Eddie. You shouldn't have them anyway. Eddie. Yes. I'm going to explain this to you. Please do, because I don't understand. Well, the reason it's going green is because.
If you use the pooper scooper, you would throw it out every time and it would end up in a big landfill and it would, you know, pollute the environment. But with the bags, you use the bags and you save them. Therefore... You're going green. You're not hurting the environment. You keep putting them in the dishwasher or something, you know. You hose them off after. Well, the whole idea of going green is that you're not doing something you're throwing away. You're not creating more waste. You're not creating more waste. Right. It's called recycling. But she is throwing away the plastic bag. But it's called recycling. No, she recycles the bag. Yes, that's right. She recycles the ones that she has. Wait, isn't that worse for the environment then? Yes. How? Very much so. How is it worse than just throwing away... If you go green, you shouldn't be using plastic bags at the grocery store. Ideally. Ideally, but if you happen to get them... Secondly, when you use the plastic bags, using them once and throwing them in the garbage after it has...
poop on it is not recycling. Al Gore is rolling over in his grave right now. I've been doing this wrong the whole time. Environmentalists do recommend if you do get the plastic bags from the grocery store, use them for other purposes. They actually tell you to recycle them at the grocery store or in the recycling unit. She does. After she uses them, she takes them back to the grocery store. We should take a vote. Ashley's doing the right thing. Oh, you guys are so wrong. Typical. You're so wrong. Because you read all about it. I'm so green. I'm the Green Lantern. You're not green. The Green Lantern? You're not. I am green with envy. That's right. Ashley's going brown. That's right. Ew. Sky did that seven years ago, right, Sky? What are you talking about? Do you see that ring on her finger? Please stop. My wife went brown two years ago. Okay. She's been recycling ever since. That's right. I recycle that man. Okay. Three times a week, buddy. Boston Rahm is our young, handsome Irishman. 25 years old, engaged to be married. Loving it. He's a good kid. Best move I ever made in my life. That's right. He is our phone screener.
He is also a singer-songwriter on the show. Very talented guy. Our text number, if you want to text us, is 35253. And finally, Zethian Oates. When you look at him, you think that his name would be Roosevelt Zethian Oates. Well, yeah, he's got that look. The third. The third. Very classy. Yes, Roosevelt Zethian Oates III. Esquire. Esquire. And then Rob just calls him Rosie for short. Thanks, Rob. That's right. Rosie. What can you tell us, Zeth? You're a good kid. What have you been up to lately? Basically nothing. Just spending some time with the girlfriend and kind of relaxing, getting that crud that I had last week out of my head. His girlfriend's name is not easy to remember.
I had to say it three times in order to remember it. And I have to hold my fingers up like a child. I just one time had to say Kelsey Grammer, and now I'm in. Really? I remember. I had to go Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey, because it's an uncommon name. He doesn't talk about her a lot, so it's hard to remember. He doesn't talk a lot. He doesn't talk a lot. That's a really good point. So, there you go. Is everything going well with the girlfriend, Zeth? Yeah. There you go. And if you ask him, why Zeth? Why not Seth? Or best. He says, I don't know. You know, that's what they named me. We don't from me. Sorry. It's cooler that way. I like it. Never heard of it. My friend P1 Josiah is on the line. What's up, dude? What's up, Mike? What's going on? Not much. I was going to say what's going on for the NFL draft this year. You guys broadcasting? Yeah, man. You know, we've been getting a lot. That question's been asked of Eddie and I a lot. We're not going this year. Really? Yeah, and...
I don't know, Eddie. What's the truth about this? The last I heard is that it looks like the draft will not be carried by Rock 105 this year. And now that Clear Channel owns a sports station, that the sports station is going to cover the draft. And the Chargers pregame broadcast team, me, Laz, and Lou, are probably going to do a broadcast. But I still don't know for sure if I'm doing it or not. I guess it makes sense. If we've got a sports station in the hizzy, why not use it? I think they'll probably stay like that. For people that are new to the show, Eddie and I used to fly out to New York every year, broadcast from the draft, and it was a good time. I'm only speaking for myself. I'm so busy, man. When I found out that we probably weren't going to go, I was a little bit relieved. It's not easy. It's not easy. It's not easy. You know, it's a haul to get out there. And you've got to do a lot of studying, a lot of studying to get up on everything. And it's a week of, it takes over your life when you do the draft. All right, Josiah, thanks, man. P1 Brandy. Hi, good morning. What up? I wanted to get you guys the advice. I have a supervisor at work that has really bad.
You know, this is such an interesting topic. We did this topic a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about people at work that have either bad breath or body odor. How do you deal with it? And I am very, very sensitive to it myself because When I was 12, we moved in with my grandmother and she didn't have a shower. All she had was this old bathtub that had claws. They really did. It was an old white ceramic bathtub. And the bottom of it, instead of having four legs, it had these claws. It's called the claw foot tub. Is it really? Yes. A claw foot tub. And it was really creepy. It looked like you were bathing in a dragon's belly. You know, I, you know, and the idea of it, listen, if you want to get into a bath because you're sore and you want to soak, great idea. But for true cleansing, a shower is ideal because otherwise you're kind of sitting in your own filth. Excuse me, Sean. Excuse me, Sean. Oh. Well, to-to-say, to-to-so, to-mato-so, is what I say. That's what they all say. I've heard that as well. So anyway,
I had in seventh grade, I was in that situation and I had a kid tell me, you stink. And let me tell you, man, that put such a stigma on me. Then bathing became like a ritual where it had to be perfect. Still kind of is. And so the other day I was walking in a gas station and I smelled BO and I become obsessed. Is it me? Is it me? And I'm like smelling everything. And I smell okay. But I get this instant like, is that me? Where's that coming from? And then I have to root it out. Where's the BO coming from? What did we decide with the BO? What did we decide that you do, you guys? There was a couple of suggestions like leaving a note or leaving a gift basket full of deodorants and smelly stuff. of what we finally came to the realization is there's no good way to go about it. Somebody's got to be the bad guy. Somebody's got to step up to the plate and say something. Brandy, does your supervisor have a person that works with you that he's very close to? Like a friend? A friend. Somebody that he gets along with real good. It's a her. It's a woman? Yeah, it's a woman. Does she have someone that she's pretty close to there at work? Well, actually,
I'm pretty close to her. Like, we go to lunch together and stuff. Okay, then you're the person. You're it. You're it. Oh, man. Yeah. And what you do is, you do this. You bring it up in a way that you just, is it a deodorant problem, like an armpit thing? No. Okay. It's everything. Okay. It's interesting that they're friends, you know, like that they go to lunch. You say you gag when you're around her, but yet you go to lunch with her? Well, because she asks me to and I feel like I'm a supervisor. Like, I feel bad. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Oh, boy. Yeah, it's tough, you know, because it's going to hurt, you know, it's going to hurt. But it does need to be done. And maybe if you could just say it from a sincere heart and be it. Hold on, hold on. Go ahead, Boston Rob. I have the solution. Go ahead. You write me a check for $50. I'll come to your work. I like it. And I'll tell her whatever. You can even write out a list of the different smells you've got off her. That's okay. Not necessary. And it's only going to cost you $50. It's $29.99. $29.99. And you know what? If you go on to BostonRob.com, I believe you can print a coupon for it with 20% off. BostonRob.edu, I believe. So 50 bucks, I'll take care of everything. $49.99.
Brandy, my suggestion, just be very kind. Another hundred, I'll bathe her. Thank you. All right. We got to take a quick time out. But when we come back, we're going to take this phone call from P1 Cardiff because he's got something to say about the dog parks. He's got an issue with the dog parks. Oh, no. Here we go. So he's going to talk about what his issue is with the dog parks. And of course, your text messages at 35253. Ashley's got that big smile on her face like, what's this guy going to say? We're also doing a little lyrical gangsta. Got an email we can all relate to. David Tell in the Stand Up Spotlight. Show Stand Up Spotlight. This is when the fun happens late. You ever hang out all night long and then you go home a little early? Then you get that call the next day? You know that call. You should have hung out, man. Man, what happened? Ten minutes after you left. It's always ten minutes after you leave when all the fun shows up. Like the fun mobiles a block behind you at all times. Full of strippers and midgets and balloons and every type of fun imaginable. I listen six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on the station. Now we got you guys on every morning and stuff like that.

Slow going here out of Escondido this morning in single digits as you head south in the 15. From the 78 on down to an injury crash that caused this mess. Blocking the left lanes of Via Rancho Parkway. Pretty much at a crawl. So give yourself some extra time coming out of Escondido this morning. A traffic order has been issued advising you to avoid that stretch.
Other than that, we're looking pretty good here throughout the rest of our county freeways, except maybe the North 805, starting to see some slow traffic up through National City and up towards Home Avenue. The rest of our freeways, as I mentioned, are looking pretty good, so take advantage of that while you can. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. How are we supposed to do a commercial after that? I wish I could cover up and not see this. Wow, that was awful. That's really nasty. Anyway. Well, speaking of sunglasses, you can get a pair of sunglasses, an awesome pair of sunglasses.
At Sunglass and Optical Warehouse, it's really the only place in San Diego you should be going to get your sunglasses. Yeah, Sunglass and Optical Warehouse. They have three locations all over the county, but they're known for their sunglasses. What people don't know is they also do prescription eyewear. That is true, Sky. We met with the people at Sunglass and Optical Warehouse, and they told us that they have brands that you can't get anywhere else in San Diego. They have brands from Europe and all these places that were like... Really? The only place you can get them is Sunglass Optical Warehouse? That's really cool. I guess like sunglass manufacturers are very elite in the places they want to sell their sunglasses and you have to be top notch and Sunglass Optical Warehouse fits that bill. And we love elitists. Yeah, we're all about it. So if you're a P1, by the way, make sure you say you're a P1 when you go in there and you get extra 10% off the already low, low prices. For all the locations, check out their website, sunglassoptical.com. The Math. We could be walking through an ancient graveyard right now. It's not funny, Eric. Five explorers have uncovered the ruins of a long-forgotten civilization. Is gone. Lives on. 287 on your mobile phone for showtimes and a free... I rarely remember things that I wanted to say. Eddie. Cousin trouble. Scon wears capri pants? Not capri... Boston Rock. I enjoy the taste of medicine. And Ashley. I can only take really small bites of food. Really small bites of food. The Mikey Show's on. You guys are so cute.
Thank you. Rock 105.3. Is that Deftones, Rob? Yeah, Deftones did a cover of this. Oh, they did? Yeah. Nah, 302. There's a bunch of Cure covers. Deftones did this song? Yeah, Deftones did a cover of Sade, too. I remember hearing that. Yeah, they have an album out called B-Sides and Rarities. Yeah, it's good. Oh, I'm going to have to look into them. When Chino does it, he's like... Makes it sound like that one song. Yeah. It is 640. Velvet Revolver has issued a statement saying that the band has officially parted ways with their singer, Scott Weiland. Wow. Indiana University finds their head coach hiring Marquette's head coach, Tom Crean. Sky, what's the deal? Why have they parted ways with Scott Weiland? You know, there's been lots of rumors out there that things aren't good in Velvet Revolver and, you know, Scott talking about doing his own thing and getting back together with Stone Temple Pilots or something.
whatever but it was all rumor and speculation well yesterday the uh management and attorney for the band velvet revolver issued a statement saying that scott wyland is no longer going to be the lead singer of the band and in the statement in um there was a statement from slash you know the guitarist saying quote this band is all about its fans and its music and scott wyland isn't a hundred percent committed to either that is a very Rough statement. Yeah, he goes on to talk about his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced them to move on. He does too. He has erratic onstage behavior. He has erratic offstage behavior too. That is true. I guess it's safe to say he's got some erratic behavior. Revolver should hire Axl Rose. That's true. That would be an interesting thing. P1 Cardiff is on the line. Now, Cardiff is definitely against the dog park problem. Correct, Cardiff? Yes, that's right. That's right. Not all of Cardiff, but most of the people have kids in grade school. Okay, so what's the issue that you have with the dog park? Well, for one thing, 100% of them don't pick it. Wait, wait, wait. How can you say 100%? What are you talking about?
The dog poop. But how can you say that? At the schools. What it was was... Wait, wait, wait. Pause, P1 Cardiff. Pause, P1 Cardiff. But that's not true because I go every single night and I've never seen anyone ever leave their dogs. I know that's what you all say. But then what you do, when you pick it up, you walk right over the trash can to school and you throw it in the trash can. Okay, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause. That's not true either. Hang on. That's not true either. P1 Cardiff. Yes. You said 100% of them do not pick it up. No, no, 100% of them don't, don't. You said 100% of them don't pick it up. Right. Pause, please, please, please, sir. Okay. Please, I implore you. You're very excited. I am. I understand, I understand, I understand. I understand that you'd be very excited. All right, I'll calm down. I'd like you to calm down, please. All right? Okay, okay. I'm parked on the side of the 94. Thank you. Thank you. It's a great idea. Great idea. Please stop talking. Okay. Please stop talking. Okay. So you said that 100% of the people do not pick up the dog poop. Correct. And then you went on to say that they put it in the trash can.
So how can somebody put something in the trash can that they didn't pick up? Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Well, okay. So now you're saying that 50% of the people pick up the dog poop while another 50% do not, and the 50% that do put it in the trash. Okay, well, that would gross me out, too. I wouldn't want to... Trash can. There's a bunch of dog poop. Can I speak for my client? Go ahead. Eddie is a client. It's your client. What my client meant to say is 100% of them don't always pick it up. Okay. Now, let me represent my client, Ashley. Okay. Thank you. And what I'm going to say for my client, Ashley, is that, listen, I understand that you may not like it. However, the law is not being broken. In fact, my client is following the law to the letter. Public park, by definition, it belongs to the city. We're not 100% sure about that. We're looking into that. We are 100% sure. We are 100% sure. In fact, one of my dog friends' husband is a lawyer, and we are 100% sure. Because one of my other dog friends knows people in the city council, and we are 100% positive that the field that I go to is owned by the city, sir. Is there a sign out there, Ashley, that says dog park? It's not a dog park. It's a field.
It's not a dog park. It's been made into. It's not a dog park. It's been made into. You just said it. It's not a dog park. The city says dogs are allowed as long as they're leashed. I'll speak for my client. Please let me speak for you. I'm representing my client. I'm going to speak for her. Oh, no. It is not, by definition, it is not a dog park. It has been called a dog park by all of her and her associates because they go and play with their dogs there. But it is a public park. Which is, by definition, a park where pets are allowed, provided you pick up after your pet. Counselor, may I say that if your child went to the school that was adjacent to this field and had to deal with the stench and waste of these owners and dogs that are left there on a constant basis, you would have a problem with this as well. I will say to that you are correct. However, my client is not breaking the law. She is breaking the law. I am not? Because she didn't last a week. She said she let her dog off the leash and she couldn't catch it for an hour. That is speculation. That is speculation. That is speculation. You said it. I have proof.
All of it's speculation. Go ahead, P1 Cardiff. Now, when they urinate, who picks that up? Oh, that's a good question. How do you pick up urine, sir? You can't. You can't. Exactly. So, why don't you get back in your car and drive off the night's car? I make the differ for $39.95. We'll pick up all the urine. Hey, Rob. Hey, Rob. I see an invention, man. A doggy diaper. I see an invention right now. Hey, what's up? And the pet owners. They have those. It's called a burlap sack. It's like, what, are the kids going to roll? I mean, like the lawn? Yeah, they do. Yeah, they play in the fields. Yeah, it's their field. They're not dogs. Come on, what are we, children? Right. Yes, they are. And we don't go there when the kids are in school. It's after they're out of school. You're a law intern. We should maybe bring up the point that there's a real dog park right down the street. What? Are you kidding me? What? Why aren't they going to that, then? That's where we take my dogs. Why aren't you going now? Where dogs go. It's all fenced in. Go to the dog park. Why wouldn't you go to the dog park? Go to the actual dog park. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Mur
Apparently, Hillary Clinton has really managed. Is she a jokester or what? Oh, wow. When I think sense of humor, I think. Well, yeah. When you think hysterical, you think that haircut. Goes hand in hand. And so, you know, cut 22. This has been a very hard-fought race. Each of us is drawing enormous support. We clearly need to do something. Oh, this was her big press conference yesterday. can make the right decision. So I have a proposal. Today, I am challenging Senator Obama to a bowl-off. A bowling night. Eddie's shaking his head with no expression on his face. Right here in Pennsylvania. Winner take all. Okay, what? I'll even spot him two frames. It's time for his campaign to get out of the gutter. Oh, Eddie's rolling his eyes. No, she didn't go there. And allow all of the pins to be counted. And I'm prepared to play this game all the way to the 10th frame. Shut up. And when this game is over, the American people will know when that phone rings at 3 a.m., they'll have a president who's ready to bowl on day one. So let's strike a deal and go bowling for delegates. We don't have a moment to spare.
Because it's already April Fool's Day. Happy April Fool's Day, everybody. There it is. I would say that she was going to hold a big press conference to make an announcement yesterday. That was it. That was the press conference. That chick is hilarious. Uh-oh, the Eddie line is wrong. I better answer it than I think I know who it is. Hello? Oh, you're so critical, aren't you? What is this? The comedy police we have over here. Woo! Woo! Pour over, pour over. I mean, that was clearly not funny. And it's actually kind of embarrassing. You know, it's like we have our very own Randy and Simon and Paula right here just looking over her every word and scrutinizing it. Do you guys know that without her laughter... Wow, that is not true. Absolutely not true. And Barbara, I don't even hear you laughing. That is gross. No, that's not true.
Hillary Clinton also invented the bra, the tampon, and mammograms. Without her, mammograms wouldn't exist. That's not true. She was the person that put up the money for the company, well, for every douche company, and she believes in equal opportunity for women. Barbara, you're funnier than she is. She invented the breast. I did hear that. Do you think that was appropriate for her to make an April Fool's work? Why can't people have a sense of humor? Well, we can when it's funny. You're going to gather all the press together and waste their time for that? That was terrible. My thought here is that instead of criticizing and instead of getting so upset about the things that she did to try to bring a smile to everybody's face... Why don't we take a moment to just thank her for the fact that she invented microwave popcorn, paddle shifters. The game Battleship. I have to thank her for that. Did you know that Hillary actually did a comedy sketch at the Improv with Steve Martin? Really? No. It ran for two weeks and then she was picked up as an original SNL casting.
That's not true. I know for a fact that's not true. And she had to bail out so that she could give CPR to babies. You should make stuff up to make her look good. I'm not doing that. Don't you take that toe with me, Barbara. She's getting upset now. I've got to take a xan. A xan? You realize that you caused me to do that. I didn't do anything. You called in. The following things were invented by Hillary Clinton. And then I gotta go. I don't want to hear this. Salt. Salt? Ball bearings. No. You're not welcome. Yes, I am, too. Oh, no. Get off the phone. Eddie Shin Benapito Grigio. Strange lady. She's so weird. Oh, my gosh. And really, she really gets fired up, too. What does Barbara do? I don't want to know. She's got a lot of good time. Does she work? I mean, she's always... Maybe she's a stay-at-home mom. Ready to call in whenever we talk to her. Politics. When we come back, wait till you hear who Hillary Clinton compares herself to. Oh, no. So I will play you... I will play you that when we come back. Also, if you want to text us, 35253.

My wife will want to come in because he's friends with Fiona Apple. She just wants to know anybody that knows Fiona Apple. And Zach Galifianakis is very good friends with Fiona Apple. Awesome! Hysterical. Yes. From everything that I've heard, Zach Galifianakis is really good. One of the funniest comedians I've ever seen. What is his style, Eddie? What is he like? Random. Very random guy. Manic. Yeah, very manic. He will play the piano in the middle of his set and sing goofy songs. Then he'll use like an easel and a pen. That's just crazy. And then the next time he's wearing a costume. Really? Just like Annie. Yeah, it's awesome. Love it. Now, when is that? When will he be coming? April 11th. April 11th. So, there you go. By the way, Eddie's birthday is less than a week away. Next Tuesday. Eddie's birthday is next Tuesday. Bards and gifts to 9660 Granite Ridge Drive.
Uh, let's get some people on the line and play this game. P1, Jessica, are you there? I'm here. How old are you, Jessica? 26. You had to think about that. When's your birthday? October 17th. Oh, look at that. You're very close in, uh, birth dates to Sky. Yay. Sky is October 22nd. Oh. And, uh, she is a Libra. Me too. Eddie just did a thing where he was, oh, really? Is that when Sky's, yeah. I didn't remember. That's right. Uh, And Jessica, what do you do? I work at an engineering company. I'm a project manager assistant. Really? Whoa. Yeah. So did you take engineering in college? I took some courses and got some certifications, but I'm not an engineer. I see. My brother's an engineer, but he's an engineer on a choo-choo train, and it's a real story. Oh, that kind. That's right. A choo-choo. I did that a couple years ago. There you go. Who hasn't, really, amongst us? Jessica, I'm going to give you three categories to pick from. You got 80s ballads, early 90s hip-hop, or in the year 2000. I'll take 2000. In the year 2000. Songs from the 2000s it is.
Your question is, in the song Hero by Chad Kroger featuring Josie Scott, a hero could save us. I'm not going to stand here. What? And wait. Very well done, Jessica. Good start. Good start. That's right. You're going to see Zach Galifianakis, and you're right. It is a good start. Hang on the line, Jessica. I like Jessica. Good P1. P1 Rhonda's on the line. Rhonda, how old are you? 25. 25 years old. And what do you do for a living? You're a Marine. What was that boot camp experience like for you? Really? I've never heard anybody describe. I have never heard the word good described when describing boot camp. It was a party. That's right. It was really hysterical, Mike. Did you go to boot camp at Pendleton? No, all females go to Parris Island. Is that right? That's in Parris, you guys. Where is Parris Island?
South Carolina. South Carolina. Did not know that. What month were you there? In June to September. Oh. Oh. Julia. Rhonda. That's rough. Was it rough? I was mentally prepared for it, so it was all right. Well, that's because she used to be a UFC fighter. I don't know if I mentioned that, but she was mentally prepared. All right, Rhonda, here are your categories. 80s ballads, early 90s hip-hop, or in the year 2000, songs from the 2000s. In the year 2000. You got it. Your question is, in the song With Arms Wide Open by Creed, he says, welcome to this place, I'll show you what. I'll show you everything. You got it! Wow! Very well done, Rhonda. Hang on the line. Miss Creed coming back. I know it. I wish they would. I really do. P1 Lori. Hi, Mikey. How you doing? Good. I just talked to your brother the other day. Oh, is this Lori Roeder? Oh, I saw you on TV, Lori. Yeah, this is Lori Roeder. She is a friend of the show. TV star. TV star, apparently. Yeah, I was on... My house is worth what?
Yes, with Kendra Todd. Nuh-uh. You were on that? Yeah, it's going to be re-airing. I'll email you the date. What channel is it on? HGTV, dude. Come on, man. HG? Okay. I was watching the last night. Yeah, Sunday morning, I was sitting in bed, and I'm like, there's P1 Lori on my television. Yeah. That's funny. I was camping, so I didn't get to see it. Oh, well, you look beautiful. You know what's funny is it's been on there for a while, right, Lori? The show? Yeah. Well, how long has your episode... Oh, well, the first time it aired was in February, but now they'll probably re-air it all year long. Okay, because I'm telling you, back when it aired, I was flipping through the channels, and I remember going, well, I know that's not the same girl I know. Yeah. And it turns out, no, it is the same girl, and she's a TV star. That's cool. All right, so here are your categories, Lori. Your categories are 80s ballads, early 90s hip-hop, and in the year 2000. 80s, please. You got it.
Your 80s ballads question is, in the song Missing You by John Waite, he says, every time I think of you, I always catch my what? You got that right, her breast. I'm kind of out of breath right now. I'm walking my dog and do some trails right now. Oh, there you go. Look at you. Are you carrying a little Vons bag with you in case there's an accident? Yeah, it's tighter on the holder. There you go. Very nice. You're responsible. That's right. Hang on, Lori. Thanks. Hey, let me say hi to Adam. All right. Adam. Hello. She's giving a shout out to Adam. Adam Carolla. You're the best, dude. That's right, dude. Adam Carolla. You know that guy over on Free FM. Let's all take a listen. I think she meant Adam Rich, you guys. That's, yeah. Hello, little Adam. How are you this morning? Nicholas, what up?
I love that. I have the same haircut right now. P1, Scotty, are you there? Scotty. Yes, I am. Scotty, how old are you? And you are the engineer on the Starship Enterprise, from what I understand. What do you do for a living, Scotty? I repair cable. Really? Like television? Yes. There you go. For your favorite company. What's the fix, though? I mean, if you have a... Summer, your age and place of, where do you work? I'm a teacher and I'm 31. All right. And what grade do you teach? I teach fifth grade. Ooh, rascals. They are rascals, right? Yeah. In fifth grade? I didn't think it could get worse than Gloria Estefan Week. But dude, Dolly Parton Week... Wait a minute, Skye, come on. Skye, did you like it? I liked it better than Gloria Estefan Week. Wow. When we come back, Dolly Parton explains how her songs are like her children. That just sounds...

Pretty messed up ride trying to get out of Escondido this morning on the South 15. It's all due to an earlier accident at Villa Rancho Parkway, which has been cleared out of the way, but not before it caught up in the commute and just made that total mess here. You're backed up in single digits here, pretty much from before El Norte Parkway, all the way down to Villa Rancho, and then some reduced speeds into Rancho Bernardo. So give yourself some extra time on that freeway. That's also backing up East 78 through San Marcos, trying to get on to the 15 here. Hillary's going to lose to the black guy in the first fight. And there it is. So, I don't know. I thought it was pretty funny that Dolly Parton... Actually, I want to tell you about something else before I get to that because this is kind of huge and I just got the thumbs up so I can tell you about this. I'll get this Dolly Parton thing in a second. So you know how we're doing that thing, Secret Crush? Yep. Sometimes it goes good, sometimes it goes bad. When it goes good, it's like it's really uplifting. It feels really great, you know? When it goes bad, it's... Well, that's kind of the interesting, compelling, and fun thing about Secret Crush is you never really do know what's going to happen. Well, today we're putting Secret Crush on steroids. We have a guy that is bringing his girlfriend into the studio. Now, she's not as familiar with the show as he is. And so what she thinks is...
that they're going to be coming into the studio because they've won the chance to come hang out in the studio like we do on Fridays, right? On Fridays, we have people get to come in and hang out in the studio and watch us do the show. What we're going to do, she thinks that it's exactly like that. So they're just going to come and sit in here and watch. But what's actually going to happen is he's going to propose to her. Holy cow, man. Live on the air. Wow. Yeah. That's crazy. So in just a couple of minutes, You're going to hear a couple of people walk in and you're going to hear me pretending that they've won coming into the studio as a prize. I'm going to be like, hey, how are you doing? She's not going to have any idea. The only people that know are us here in the studio and all of you listening. How cool will that be? I think that what I'll do is I'll probably take a break and when we come back, I'm not going to do it right now, but when you hear me go to break next,
The next time I go to break, know that when we come back, that's what's going to happen. Oh, my God. He's probably freaking out right now. Oh, gosh. I just got shortness of breath. I know it. So, should we have them come in now? Yeah, yeah. And we'll just do the show like we normally... And pretend like we're, you know, doing the show. Zeth, go get it. I could think nothing's going on. Okay, guys, be cool. Yeah, be cool, man. Everyone calm down. You're the only one freaking out. Right? Stop being cool. Stop talking. Yeah. Everybody just pop your collar. Yeah. Yeah, line up. All right. Shut up! P1 T-Rex is on the line. Hey! Hey, T-Rex. What's going on, everybody? What's going on, man? No, I'm doing well. I'm calling in to see if anybody got any April Fool's jokes sprayed on him yesterday. Mean nothing, man. Nothing happened with me. No? No. Nobody here got any April Fool's stuff. You know, my kid's getting over the flu, and so he doesn't have any of the flu symptoms left, but he is in a bad mood, man. Oh, my God.
And so my wife had a terrible day yesterday because Jake was just in a bad mood all day long. And so, you know, otherwise she probably would have, you know, had me walk in the swimming pool on a steak or something like that. Totally like her. Yeah. I played one on my mom yesterday. It was pretty bad. I kind of stopped it before I got too far. Something tells me that if T-Rex did it, it was ridiculous. What did you do? Okay, well, I asked her to do me a favor. She's a real good friend with the Wes Walker family. She's a real good friend. I asked her to give me a couple of autographs. She's real good friends with the who? Wes Walker's family. Oh, Wes Walker's family. Okay, she's good friends with Wes Walker's family. Who's that? He's a wide receiver for the Patriots. Wide receiver for the Patriots. Okay. She was supposed to be in town, so I didn't really want to play this joke on her, but since she didn't do what I asked her to do, so I had to play this joke on her. I called her and said, Mom,
You know, I just got back to the doctor. Actually, I told her I went to the doctor because I had a spot on my hand. She said, you know, what's wrong? So, well, I had a bit of LIGO. She was like, what's that? I said, that's the same disease that Michael Jackson has. It's the one that made it, because you guys got to know, T-Rex is black. And so vertiligo is the thing where it makes your skin look splotchy, where it's, you know, like... Well, yeah, your body is attacking your skin's own pigment. Well, you make it sound so serious, Scott. And it leaves white spots, like, all over. And you can eventually turn on white. Scott says that it's not as funny. It's not as hysterical. I like your definition better, Mike. Okay, well, my mom has it. No, splotchy. It's hilarious. Oh, wow. Now, that definitely changed the mood. Take that, T-Rex. No, white people can have it. Is that right? Yeah. Can white people really have it? Yeah. You just get these, like, really, like, white spots. Like, you have no pigments. My friend has it. You have no pigments. Yeah, she does. All right, so go ahead, T-Rex. So you told her that you had it? Yeah, I told her I had the symptoms of it. And she didn't understand the symptoms. So I said, hey, it's the same symptoms as Michael Jackson.
So in, you know, the next six months or so, the doctor said, I only have six months. I'll be turning white. She started almost tearing up. Really? Right before that. I said, no, Mom, April 4th. And she almost wanted to come across the phone and kick me in the butt. Oh, T-Rex. You are such a kidder, you little scamp. You are such a kidder. You little scamp. Oh, I love it. All right, T-Rex, thank you. All right, bud. T-Rex is a hall of famer. Awesome. And we love him. All right, so a couple of things that we got to do. I told you I want to play you this Dolly Parton deal. And we got a couple of people hanging out in the studio, too, that won the opportunity to come and hang out in the studio. I got to get names, though, or I'll never remember. What are your names? Mary. Your name is Mary. How old are you, Mary? And... Who is the fella to your left, my right? I'm Wally. Your name is Wally? Yeah. All right, Wally, how old are you? I'm 22. Cool. You guys are both the same age. Yeah. Were you aware of that, that you were both the same age? Did you know that prior? They probably figured that one out. Yeah. And did you guys just meet right now out in the hallway before coming in? Well, welcome to the studio. You guys won the opportunity to come and hang out, so welcome. It's nice to have you here.
Let's listen to this audio. I just saw it, and I thought, that looks funny to me. You know that American Idol does this thing where they have these guests, you know, famous people come on and, like, teach. Mentors. Mentors. Teach. Right. The, you know, kids on American Idol how to sing. So stupid. So Dolly Parton came on. How does she look? Like a clown. Really? With a lot of makeup? She's got a lot of work done and her face is all Joker-like now. It's really weird. So here is her explaining something about her songs. Cut one. I don't have children of my own, so I always think of my songs as my children. I remember exactly when I wrote them, what I was thinking about when I wrote them. When I was doing the movie 9 to 5, I didn't have my guitar on the set. So I have these acrylic nails. And I actually wrote it. I thought it sounded like a typewriter. How did people sound? Not good. Most of them not good. But, I mean, you know, they do this every year, you know, when they put these, like, goofy mentors in there. And then the judges are like, oh, this isn't your type of music. Well, no kidding. It's Dolly Parton. Right. Like, who sounds good singing Dolly Parton but Dolly Parton?
It doesn't make any sense. Yeah, it was weird. And then one time, was it Carly Smithson that Simon went after saying that she didn't fit with the band? Yeah. Well, that's not what you're judging her on, guy. And then he started attacking what she was wearing. It was brutal. Was what she was wearing ridiculous? It wasn't the most flattering outfit, but I don't think she looked bad. Big leaves and palm fronds? Yeah, totally. Did they pick their own outfits? They have stylists, but they pick their own outfits. Now, doesn't that happen at a certain point of Hollywood? I thought it did, where at some point you can tell they make the transition to, oh, the stylists got a hold of them. Whenever they're in the top 12, I believe they have stylists. I was walking outside. I'm surprised I don't have big scratches all over my neck. Because I was walking outside yesterday, and over where our air conditioning unit is outside, you know the vent of the air conditioning unit outside? Well, when we first got the house, we planted these little shrubs there to cover those up so you didn't have to look at the air conditioning vents. And it worked. So now they're big shrubs, and I don't notice them. But they're like spiny monsters with claws and fangs.
So I don't notice them. So I'm walking by it the other day and I got like whapped in the face. And it was a really embarrassing moment that I thought, oh, I'm so glad not even my wife saw that. You've got to maintain that stuff, man. There are some things that even would embarrass me and my wife seeing. Well, sure. But you do. You have to cut them down. You've got to keep that stuff all trimmed up. I have not told them yet. Trim your bush. Get, Eddie, stop it. Grow up. I mean, I was thinking it, but you said it. It's very immature. That's what the deal is. Why are we all acting like immature? Yeah, Eddie's saying, why are you acting like children? Yeah, grow up, everybody. Everyone's reading into what you're saying, and it's inappropriate. Skye, do you do your own lawn work? Do you do it yourself? What is that? Sorry. Well, it depends. Well, because I just thought of that. I'm like, I would never get out in my own... place and start cutting. You're Mexican. That's true. That's so weird. Listen, I told my dad the other day, why isn't it in my blood? Well, you've got to take care of that stuff before one of your neighbors gets out there and starts. If one of my neighbors ever did something to my lawn... Well, if it's out of control, Mike. What? I mean, maybe they're left with no other option.
Don't have that face. What? I'm just saying, Mike. What are you talking about? I'm just saying, if you let things get out of control, maybe your neighbors get all pent up over it and they can't handle it anymore and they have to go maintain your yard. That is not true. That's not a dream thing. Just maybe. Just maybe. What is he saying, Mike? Maybe that could happen, Mike. I beg you not to do things just for the radio. I beg you to take care of your landscaping. What is she saying? Why is she attacking you? She's not talking about me. I'm just saying that sometimes people don't take their landscaping as seriously as other people in the neighborhood. I've known Skye for about 10 years and I know exactly what she's saying. And sometimes you gotta, you know, take steps to fix things. Please tell me that what you're saying is not that you trimmed the bushes of your neighbor. Living next door. I did not do that, no. Skye, tell me you did not do anything. That is not what I did. Skye, repeat after me. My name is Skye and I did not do anything to my neighbor's landscaping. Well, I would not go that far. Oh my God. I would not go that far. That cannot be a true statement. I will not believe this. I'm just saying. What did you do? Do I want to hear what she did? No. I do.
I'm going to listen with one earphone on because it's going to hurt me. Well, you know that we've been working very hard on our landscaping. On your landscaping. Yes, we have. Well, of course you have. That's your property. Yes, it is. And the neighbor next door, we kind of have one of those things where their lot is a little higher than ours, but our yard's... kind of flow together in a way you know like our grasses touch you know there's the property line but clearly there's a property line there is but there's a little spot where our grass touches their grass um so when our grass is all nice and trimmed and when our mulched areas are all nice and weeded and clean it looks horrendous when their front yard is a wild jungle oh really really roaming through. Like Costa Rica. Like the open plains of the African savannah. We've been to your neighborhood and have not noticed any... You didn't see the cheetah. There's no cheetahs or wild boars running around. Oh, you saw the boars. Yes. The Coupe Barra. Well, so... There it is. The wild Coupe Barra in its natural habitat. Sky's neighborhood. So, it had been driving me crazy.
For a while. Like, every time I... Pause. We have to explain to the audience. You have to know. If you don't know, if you're just new listening to the Mikey show, Sky is a bit of a control freak. Yes. Sometimes. Wait. Go ahead. Every once in a while. So, I mean, I got weird theories going on anyway about my neighbors. I refer to them as the Clopex, and that is the family from the Burbs, if you've ever seen it. You know what I'm talking about. These people are nocturnal. I don't know what's going on. But anyway, so the Clopax are taking care of their yard. And every time I pull into my driveway, it drives me crazy. I've had so many conversations with my husband about the Clopax and their out-of-control yard. It's ridiculous. Now, Eddie, would this be on your radar at all? It may be a little bit, but it's not my place. It's not my responsibility. So, I mean, it might suck if it's...
That would be my answer, too. Like, yeah, I would notice, but eh, whatever. So it had been, like, literally driving me crazy for, like, two weeks. Like, I couldn't go out in the front yard without freaking out and obsessing on it. You know how I am. It was out of control. You were there at night. You don't know. We arrived in the day. It was at night. You missed, Eddie, the hyena. No, there was nothing of the sort. Thank you, Mike. So my husband, like we're doing this huge overhaul on the backyard. So my husband has been consumed with that. Normally my husband is the guy who mows the lawn. But he's been so consumed with the backyard that we made friends with a neighbor two doors down. And he has a gardener that comes and does his lawn. He's not like a do-it-yourselfer. So he said to me and the huggy, hey, my gardener guy's coming over. He's really cheap. Would you like him just to knock out your front yard real quick? We were like, okay, awesome. Is he Hispanic? Um, yes. Do you know what that matters? I don't know what that has to do with anything here. Well, it has nothing to do with the story. I have to think about that for a second. I've never asked him directly. It could be Honduran like Paris Mencia. You never know. It could be Guatemalan. I don't know. I don't know. Really, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. I just say buenas noches and we're over it. So, um.
The guy was giving us a good deal because he was doing our neighbor two doors down house, and he was also doing our house. What did you do? This can't be headed. This can't be headed. What did you do? And I looked at the guy, and I said, how much extra would you charge to do their yard as well? No, you didn't. And pointed to the Klobex house. No, you did not. Pointed to the Klobex house. You can't do that. You can't do that. That's crazy. No. And so I thought it would be polite to have the gardener go and knock on their door just to get permission. And since they are nocturnal, they did not answer. So we paid him and he went ahead. Oh, my God. And it looks beautiful. We've been on the radio together. I'm not kidding. Nine, ten years. That's definitely the number one. Most wild thing Skye's done. That's up there. That's of the wildest things. It was either that or file a... I'm speechless now. It was either that or file a complaint with the HOA. Well, now they have a complaint against you. You did something illegal. But they don't know who it is. Skye's illegal. Yes, you went on their property. Do they know who it is? I did go on their property. Yeah, that's right. You paid somebody to go on their property. Carlos Mencia went on their property. It's illegal. I'm a wonderful neighbor. What? How does it look? It looks beautiful.
Oh, my gosh. That is so nuts. Can you imagine them coming home? Wait a second. In defense of Sky. That's assuming they leave the house. Wait a second. In defense of Sky, I mean, where's the you're welcome? No, no. That's what I'm talking about. I want to move next to Sky just so she'll take care of all my stuff. I'll be like, look at how empty this fridge is. I don't even know how we do it. Sky should send them the bill. Sky, you're so frugal. Like for you to do that is nuts. How much was it? That's crazy. Well, he cut a really good deal. He said. Two for one. Two for one, right? Well, he's because our other neighbor, the one who lives on the opposite side of the Clopex was there too. And the guy was like, oh, I'll just do it for an extra 10 bucks. And the neighbor on the other side was so over too. He's like, you know what? I'll throw in five of it. No. So we went five. The other neighbor went five. You can't do that. Five bucks. Well, it says the law. Five bucks. Five bucks each. Dude. And so it looks all nice? Yeah. What if somebody doesn't like the way your flowers are and they decide to pull them out? Well, that's different. That's different. How? Because that's not neglect. Thank you. You're messing with somebody's lawn and their yard. They're neglecting it. They're neglecting it. Doesn't matter. It's their property. In your eyes, they're neglecting it. But what if they want it that way? Apparently, it wasn't just Skye's eyes. Apparently, it was the neighbor next door's eyes. Doesn't matter. But it doesn't matter. For a reason, though.
Well, we'll see. I just hope they don't get used to it. I just hope they get themselves. Exactly. If they're not going to, you know, maintain their yard, they need to get on a program. That's the way you need to frame it, too. You got to be like, hey, listen, I'll be nice this one time. I'll help you out. I'll help you out. Can you imagine if somebody mowed your lawn? I'd be furious. Dude, I would freak. I don't get how that's a bad thing. P1 Julie, are you there? It's not your responsibility. Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. That's a good deed. My neighbor did that to me. I was working 80 hours a week. And I didn't have time to mow my lawns. So my neighbor came over and mowed my front lawn for me. Are you jogging on the Coronado Bridge right now? No. Okay. Finish that marathon, call us back. Yeah, I mean, it sounds like you're in Rock and Roll Marathon right now. Stop. Go ahead. I'm walking. Okay, I got you. She's got on a baseball cap. She's got on the little earphones. Little mini wrist weights. Yep. Little Nikes. Yeah. There you go.
So what was your reaction when your neighbor had your yard done? I went over to her house and I gave her a new orifice. What? Oh, my God. When you thank her, she was doing a good deed for you. You didn't have time to do it yourself. She did it for you. It doesn't matter if I can do it myself. She could say, hey, when are you going to get around to mowing your lawn? But she did not need to do it for me. Well, she's doing a nice thing. You're on her property. You can't go on somebody's property. She didn't. The gardener did. Thank you. It's still wrong. He rang the doorbell first. Man. Yeah, that's so bad. Our text number is 35253. You can call us at 570. They should complain to the HOA. I hope they figure it out. Well, I'll complain against them. Well, I mean. I didn't want to start this. We complained against you. Well, here's the deal. Here's the deal. I'm seriously thinking about it. And I'm going. They went from having a scraggly looking yard to having a beautiful yard. Yeah, it looks nice. How do you complain? Yeah. It's nice. I would not want anybody on my property that I did not give permission to. What is this, Texas? Yeah. Huh? Yeah, what is this? Pull out a shotgun. Yeah, exactly. Shoot them. What do they call that? What is this, a castle? They can do whatever they want to your property. Right?
Absolutely. What if they don't like it? What if they want something different? What if they think Sky's yard is too clean? In order for that argument to make sense, so Eddie, that means that they have to have wanted that. They have to have that. That was their style. It wasn't that. They were neglecting. You don't know that, though. You have no right to sit with them. It's their property. You got Dracula living over next door. I mean, obviously. No. You don't know that. Sky saw them sleeping upside down, to Sky's defense. She saw them sleeping upside down with a cape. That's crazy, man. P1 Law? Same. Go ahead, P1 Law. The crime that she has committed is actually punishable of up to $5,000 in a small claims court and imprisonment up to six months. Imprisonment. Do it. Whoa! I'm on the case. Where's Corey Feldman?
Well, it's against the HOA laws for them to neglect their property. And you should have gone through the proper steps. I didn't want to be a jerk. You don't take the law into your own hands. You take them to court. Exactly. I didn't want to be a jerk. Doug Llewellyn said that. I thought it was a nice thing to do. No, you didn't. He'll tell you. You did it selfishly for yourself. Yeah. Not for them. That's true. P1 Jimbo? Secondarily, it was nice. My girlfriend's dad was selling his house at the time and was having me go over to all of his neighbors' houses and like... full-on mow their lawns and trim the hedges. It put me in a spot. I didn't want to do it, but I couldn't say no to my girlfriend's dad. Yes, you can. No, you can't. It's illegal. $5,000 fine. That's right. $5,000 fine for saying no to a girlfriend's dad. Wow. Mikey, if Sky touched my lawn, I would call the police for trespassing. That's P1 Jason. Absolutely. Next one says, Mikey, I love you, Sky. Didn't hurt anybody. Plead the fifth. Next one says, Skye, how about talking to them instead of talking to them? Because they're nocturnal. When am I going to go over there at 3 a.m.? She tried. She tried to talk to them. 3 a.m.? You wake up early. Yeah, that's the only time the lights are on in their house. Then you should have gone over. I'm not going to go over to their house at 3.30 in the morning. That would be wrong. Why? That would be rude. That would be illegal. Yes, Eddie, that would be illegal. Oh, my God. What are you nuts? Skye, if you're just tuning in, Skye,
looked at her neighbor's lawn, saw that it had not been mowed, it was out of control. Was it brown? No, it was green. No, it was green. It was being watered, but it was actually being watered twice a day, which is, number one, a waste of water. And two, it was making it grow out of control. So literally, the grass was probably about this high. Maybe they wanted it that high. Maybe that's why they were having it be watered twice a day. No, Ash, it was like this. On the lawn and then around the tree trunks, it was like this. It was so ugly. On the lawn, Skye's saying it was about six, seven inches. And near the tree trunks, it was like a foot high. Probably like two feet high. Because Skye doesn't exaggerate at all. I'll take a picture next time. Okay. After you mow it or before? Before. All right, we got to take a break. We're very late. Stick around. We got... We got Sky Rockets coming up next. How's that? What? 35253 is our text number. And you can call us at 570-1053. Mikey Show. Okay. The Mikey Show is on. Thank you. Oregon State is talking to USD head coach Bill Greer about their head coaching job. Our text number is 35253. Sometimes grace reminds me. And...
Our phone number is any area code in San Diego, and it's 570-1053. Here are some of the text messages we're getting. And in case you didn't know, the story we were talking about before we went to break is that Skye, she lives in a new neighborhood, new development. And, you know, her neighbors, they weren't really doing much with their yard, and so Skye, out of the kindness of her heart. No. Yep. Her own selfish heart. Decided that she was going to hire a gardener to, you know, for $5 cut their lawn. And he did. Now the lawn looks nice. The first text we have says, what's wrong with the world today when nobody appreciates small acts of kindness anymore? It once had nothing to do with things. I have a lot of kindness. No. Next one says, Sky is right. Those people were ruining the property value of the neighborhood, signed P1 Curtis. Call your HOA. Next one says Sky violated the property and privacy of her neighbor. That's P1 Cannonball. Let's see. Come on, guys. They were going for the dark jungle. They could hide the bodies in. That's P1 Brian. Let's see. Can Sky please be my neighbor, P1 Alexi? I mean, when you look at it, it's five bucks they didn't have to spend. It's ten bucks they didn't have to spend. Stop. The deal. Yeah.
I just, I can't understand the concept of somebody getting upset about somebody making their place look better. Well, we'll see when somebody messes with your yard. Well, but my yard's not neglected. According to you, in your opinion. Well, except for that bush around here. Well, exactly. And if somebody cut that, I'd be like, wow, that was really kind. That thing was whapping me in the face. Yeah. And somebody, out of the kindness of their heart, trimmed that thing back for me. Who did that? Who did it? Thank you. I'm sure. You're welcome. It was very nice. We got a couple of people hanging out in the studio with us. It's Mary and Wally. And they are 22 years old and won the opportunity to come and hang out in the studio. And Mary, where are you from? San Diego. And Wally, where are you from? San Diego. How did you guys meet? We actually went to the same middle school. Is that right? Yeah. Holy cow. You guys went to the same middle school? You're 22 years old, so you met at what age? Cute. 12.
So you've known each other for 10 years, and have you been dating that whole time? No. No, it's about like two years, two and a half years now. Okay, now explain that. What's the story behind that? We kind of lost contact a couple times throughout the years, and a little more than two years ago, we recently got back in touch with each other. How did you guys get back in touch? We met at a taco shop. Is that right? You guys just happened to be there, and like, hey, what are you doing? Yummy. Was it that kind of deal? Yeah. You just kind of ran into each other. Wow. It started the conversation and then you guys started talking a little bit. Yeah. That's kind of cool. And so they're both from San Diego. Well, the cool thing is, is that they thought that they were coming in here today because they won the opportunity to come and hang out. But there's actually a little bit more involved than that. Isn't that right, Wally? Yeah.
Yeah. Wally, why don't you look over at Mary and tell Mary why you guys are really here. Well, when we met in sixth grade, I really didn't think we'd be this close. And the past couple of years, we just shot by really, really fast. And over my lifetime of any mistakes and misfortune, I don't really regret it all. Because, you know, I'm where I want to be, you know. So, you know, I just want to know if... Oh my gosh! She's got her arms around him. And she's got her arms around his whole neck. And she is squeezing him so tight it looks like he can't breathe. Oh, she's got a big kiss. Big kiss. He's putting the ring on her finger. Look at that.
Nice job, dude. It's a beautiful ring. Mary's kissing him again. Mary, did you have any idea that that was what was going to happen? No clue whatsoever. Was he being all weird today? No, not at all. Oh, really? I actually just thought he came in here because I thought he won the P1 challenge and stuff. Right. Did you know that a proposal may be coming at some time? Or what was your thoughts about this whole... marriage idea um we talked a little bit about stuff like that but um i figured it would be like maybe a year or two down the road or so really so this is quite a shock to you yeah what do you think of that ring that's on your finger right now it's beautiful thank you just giving him another kiss look at that so that's kind of a neat story you guys have known each other since middle school you kind of went your own separate ways
Came back into contact with one another. And how long ago was that that you guys kind of reconnected? How long ago? A little more than two years ago. So you guys have been boyfriend and girlfriend for the last two years. Mary, would you definitely say that Wally is the guy that you would want to spend the rest of your life with? Definitely. How long have you known that? Pretty much like a little bit after we got together. Right in that microphone. Sorry. That's okay. A little bit after we got together. You kind of knew it then. Yeah. Yeah. He's always been such a good friend to me. Wally, what about you? Right into the microphone. When did you know? Tell you the truth, I can't even really remember exactly when. It's just a guy. It sort of feels like just forever almost. Yeah. But you knew at some point. And when did you make this decision that you were going to ask her to spend the rest of her life with you?
Maybe like seven or eight months ago. Wow. Just sort of just trying to figure out how I would go about it. And you went out and got the ring. Were you nervous this morning? Yeah. Were you nervous driving over here? Yeah. What was going through your mind driving over here? I was just trying to make sure that I don't screw it up. Dude, you did great. You did great. What happened was we told Mary, just so you know, we told our audience. exactly what was going to happen here. So before you guys ever came in, we told the audience, hey, he's going to ask her live on the radio. She doesn't have a clue. And so when you came in here and sat down, everybody listening in the audience, they knew about it. You are the only one that didn't know about it. So everybody was waiting for that big moment to come. And when you were sitting back in that office, Wally,
A little bit of nerves going on while you were sitting in that office. Yeah. Mary, could you tell anything was up when you were sitting in the office? No, I was just like thinking how it kind of sucked. We didn't have any radio in there because today was one of the only days where we woke up early enough to listen to the whole show. So I was like, yeah. Hey, P1CJ. Yes. You're cousins with Wally? Yes, I am. Did you know this was coming? No. Actually, his brother called me this morning and woke me up and told me to go out to the car. How about that? What'd you think? Oh, my God. Cousin Larry, you made me cry, man. Congratulations to both of you guys. We'll be right back. That's awesome. This is Mikey Show. If he says one more cool thing. And this is The Rock. Hi, this is Jackie. Definitely some tough spots out here to deal with this morning. The big story has been the South 15 from an accident near Via Rancho Parkway. It's been out of the way, but traffic's still just crawling here from El Norte Parkway through West Condito down to the scene of this accident. Once you get done, just before Lake Hodge just finally frees up on you. That, in turn, is affecting the East 78. That's a busy ride coming to San Marcos, trying to get to the 15. Watch for left-over slowing as well on the westbound side of the 78 from an earlier accident wrapping up near Woodland Parkway. It's close to right. South Ponce out of the 5, still heavy out of Lucadia and Solana Beach. Westbound 52 looking good out of Santee, just a minor delay toward that 15. The West 8 was busy for a while. There was an accident near the 805, a little fin bit on the right-hand shoulder. Some minor delays left over in that area. And the westbound side of the 94 is still kind of tough here from the 805 all the way into downtown. And good-looking speeds out of the South Bay, 5805 northbound, good to go into the city. The 805 is still backing up heavily, though, out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52. Don McLauren's on Rock 105.3.

It's a Mikey show at 819. Jay Leno has issued an apology for the gay comments he made when interviewing Ryan Felipe last week. Speaking of apologizing, Bill Belichick, an owner of the Patriots, Bob Kraft, apologized for Spygate. Really? If you are just tuning in, we just had a couple of P1s get engaged on the Mikey show this weekend. This P1 Wally had contacted us quite a while ago, and he said, hey, listen, I'd really like to propose to my girlfriend live on the air. And it happened today, and she was surprised. She said yes. The two of them are over there smiling, and they're very happy, and they're going to be getting married. This one says, hey, Mikey, I thought I was a manly man, and I'm sitting here in tears. Nice. This one says, Mikey, P1 Rude Dog, that is totally awesome. You guys are the best. Awesome. Hey, Mikey, I have to change my daily workout schedule so that it doesn't coincide with a secret crush. Yes, I'm on the treadmill again with tears in my eyes. Mikey Show says, I know what that's like. My husband and I have known each other since kindergarten. No way. Can you believe that? Since kindergarten. I can't even imagine that. Knowing somebody...
For that long. And when you guys met in grade school, you met when you were 12 or 13, you said? Yeah. Did you guys like each other then or you just knew each other? Yeah, I just, I don't know. I saw him one day and I just decided to go talk to him and stuff. Did you think he was hot? Did you? Yeah, well, I don't know. You did. Yeah. In the middle of four square? Yeah, exactly. So wait a minute. Now, you guys didn't date when you were 13 or you did? No, we're just friends. Just friends. So you didn't even start dating until 10 years later, or however long. About, yeah. I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious. I guess so. I guess so. So anyway, there it is. You know what I think we should do? What? And I don't know what you guys, what your feelings on this is, but I think... There he is. There he is. It's, uh, Shawnee O'Boy. 38-year-old TV. Let me tell you something. I'm going to explain to you why we do a segment called... Sean, don't do that. Sure. I don't want to see you do that. I like it. It's a party. I can't... Sean, I can't describe that on the radio, so don't... Anyway.
And his name is Sean. He's an unusual guy. And he knows my sensitivities and ignores them. So, anyway, this is what I can tell you about Sean. Weird. I don't want to... I know it. I don't want to... Look how he's looking at you. I know. I know. He's adorable. Weird. I know it. Well, he's a strange person. Sean watches everything on television. It doesn't matter if it's the past, present, or future. He watches it. He watches it. Especially the past. He loves... old television shows. Stuff that, like, your grandparents love. Uh-huh. Matlock. Murder She Wrote. Yeah, he watches that. What is that? Banachek. Banachek. Quincy. Yeah. Loves that stuff. Diagnosis Murder. That's a great show. Well, the thing that I think is interesting is that there were a lot of TV shows from that time period. Sean actually really only likes shows that have to do with investigation. If you notice.
That's true. If you notice, he's not a fan of Little House on the Prairie, which was out at that time. It's got to be intrigue. Matlock. Adventure. Sean, what is it? It's kind of like investigation shows, private investigators, crime dramas, that kind of thing. Columbo. Columbo. Yeah, Columbo's one of my all-time favorites. So, Sean, what are you going to be sharing with us today? Oh, boy. Well, Mike. I was thinking about, since we went on our little vacation, it's been a while, I thought maybe I would bring everyone back with another dose of Banachek. No, no, no. However, however, however, I decided against that. Oh, good, yeah. That's good. Three times. Okay. How many times do you do it? Well, I mean, I could go for five times. No, that's a lot. Absolutely not. So I thought we'd go with a little show, a newer show called Sports Action Team. Now, let me explain something. Sean, almost always you've never heard of the TV show, but it's shows he really does enjoy watch Antivo. They're all quality shows. No, that is not true. That is true. Sean. Whoa.
The last show that you watched comes on Sunday mornings at 4 a.m. No, it does not. Sorry about that. 4.15. Ashley's right. 4.15 a.m. On Sunday. 15-minute show. Yes, 15 minutes. No, it is not. Is that the truth? Yeah. The show's 15 minutes? Yeah. Sean Dean, before you go into this week's, I'll ask you this, and if you don't have it, that's fine, but do you have the clip of that TV show we're talking about with John C. Reilly in it? Yeah, hold on. It's a TV show that he turned us on to. It's a 15-minute long show, apparently. Tim and Eric, awesome job. Great show. Tim and Eric, awesome show. Great job. Timpy's awesome. Cool. So I have Dr. Brühl's health update or I have Dr. Brühl's tips for living on your own. Dr. Brühl's health update. All right. It's Brühl's Rules with Channel 5's Dr. Steve Brühl.
I'm such a Steve Brule from Brule's Rules. What the heck are you going to do if you're on a picnic and have an ice cream and the ants crawl on the ice cream? What are they going to do? You're going to eat the ants because it's made out of protein. There you go. That's it. Hope you enjoyed that. 15 minutes. One of the greatest shows on television. So, John, what do you have for us this week? Mike, this week I have a show called Sports Action Team. It's a comedy. It's very much like The Office, except instead of being in an office, it's set in a television station. And it's all about a team of reporters who solely report on sports items. And they have lots of celebrities on there, lots of sports celebrities. And it's a very entertaining show. What is this, a 12-minute long show? No, it's a half an hour. Oh, gotcha. This is a 30-minute. It's a half-hour show. What Sean calls a halfie. All right, okay. No, go ahead. Please, I want to hear this. May I continue? Yes, I would love for you to. All right, thank you. So they have an intern named Stephen who all of them really do not like. And they especially don't like ideas from Stephen. I know I'm only the intern here. I'm giving you a chance, Stephen, so let's just go.
The most obvious story I feel like is that there's no NFL in L.A. And what we need to do is say, hey, we need to bring the NFL back to L.A. I like that story better of Stephen's if one of us said it. Yeah. Guys, I have to sing. I think that we need to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles. I think that's a great story. Stephen thinks I stole this idea or anybody thinks I stole Stephen's idea. I might have. Okay, you got me. What's it called? I'm writing it down. It's called Sports Action Team. Sports Action Team. It's on Sunday nights on 739. You got another clip? Yeah, one more clip. They brought in a stylist to evaluate the members of the show. Here's how it went. I'm not going to have some guy in a trash bag come in here and tell me how to dress. I dress fine. You look like a fat KD Lang who just ate a dozen powdered sugar donuts, all right? Yeah, I had one between reports. How do I look? I mean, I look good.
When you wear that pink shirt and bow tie, you look like a gay Orville Redenbach. And you know that. And you're totally aware of that. I did not know I looked like anybody that made popcorn, okay? Okay, and then we have Katie. I came in here, and I took one look at you, okay? And my eyes barfed. To get the barf off my face. Okay. It's Sports Action Team. Sundays, 9.30 on 7.39. I'll see you. Oh, my God. I looked at you and my eyes barked. Text us at 35253. We'd love to hear from you. Got an email we can all relate to coming up in just a bit. Owie. Hospitals in San Diego County, they're getting together because they want to address this trend of more preemie babies. They don't know why and they want to find out why. Yeah, local hospitals are putting a lot of money to add more beds into their neonatal units. Like Mikey said, they don't really know why, but they're doing more research, but they think it's because of the rise of in vitro fertilization, fertility drugs, women waiting longer in life to give birth, and also women being overweight and suffering from health problems when they give birth. There is a judge in Georgia that has admitted it's a mistake, he says.
kick whites out of court. I understand it's a mistake. I'm sorry for the mistake. Is that what he's saying, Skye? Well, it was one time. It was last week and he asked the Caucasian lawyers in the room to leave so he could speak directly to his African American to the African American people there and had a little discussion with them about they need to get their lives together and then it made press that that wasn't so PC to do and he has a policy And he said he will give the same speech tomorrow and open the courtroom to people of all races. But basically, he didn't want to scold the African-American defendants in front of people. Skye has more information on the 90210 spinoff that we were talking is coming to TV. I'm so excited for this stupid show. Skye loves it. Oh, such a huge fan of 90210. Okay. So what are they doing? So here's the latest. So what we've known up till now is that the same dude who wrote for Veronica Mars is going to do a 90210 spinoff for the CW Network. What we have learned today is that one of the characters will be Andrea Zuckerman. We all remember Andrea from the original 90210. She was a nerd. She was a nerd. A character that nobody cared about. She ended up getting pregnant. Well, my favorite character, but no. She ended up getting pregnant and having a baby, if we remember, towards the end of the show. That's the Mexican dude. Yes.
to the Mexican dude. Was it really Mexican dude? Yeah. Was it scandalous? Uh, no, not really. No, I mean, kind of. Even, you know, but... Was it like when Sky and Mr. Sky got married and when I married my wife? Was it as scandalous as that? Totally. Practically. So they say that Andrea's daughter will be the host of... West Beverly High's news show. Oh, wow. I guess they have a news show. Of course they do, but high school doesn't. She's the host of it. Good concept, everybody. Yeah, so that's one thing. And then the other thing is they've announced one of the actors who will be on Beverly Hills 90210 spinoff. The guy's name is Dustin Milligan. He's 22 years old. He's going to play Ethan, who's a likable, popular jock at West Beverly. Go ahead and file this next story under stuff that irritates Eddie. Oprah Winfrey will be dedicating Friday's show to her dead dog. Eddie just, it was like paparazzi just called. Eddie rolled his eyes, instantly put his face in his hand and shook his head. Apparently the dog passed on.
When, Skye? Well, we all know that Sophie died last month from kidney failure. Didn't know Sophie existed, but what kind of dog was Sophie? Well, a Cocker Spaniel, Mike. Duh. And what is she going to do? Well, Friday's show is going to be dedicated into investigating puppy mills. That's great. Puppy mills. I love that. What's a puppy mill? Oh, is that where they draw water from wells by puppy power? They tie them to... Treadmill and they have them just walk and then it pumps water out of a well? No. Like water entire communities? No. Grow tomatoes? It's like a breeding facility that, you know, people frown upon. And so they're doing this whole investigation. What else are they going to do? An episode will be dedicated in the memory of Sophie. Stop it. I love that. I'll watch it. I hope it's really serious and taken. Me and my puggle. We'll watch it together. I hope it's real heavy. Yeah, Oprah says, quote, Sophie gave me 13 years of unconditional love. She was a true love in my life. All right. Oh, Eddie. Sean. All right, you guys ready to hear this? Jesse Ventura. Jesse the Body Ventura, former governor of Minnesota, whom, by the way, will be on the Mikey Show tomorrow. Oh, my God. This was him talking about Mexicans. Cut 29.
Where have you been? Well, I'm living now at least half the year down in the Baja in Mexico, Larry. I live one hour from pavement and one hour from electricity, about 850 miles down there. And amazingly, I live with those brown-skinned people that frighten Lou Dobbs so much. Wow. I mean, these people that just frighten fear into Lou Dobbs. I can assure Lou they're great people. I live among them. Wow. Whoa. Letting Lou Dobbs have it. In your face, Lou Dobbs. Yeah. Well, as you know, Jesse is an independent. He is neither Republican nor Democrat. Cut 31. You want to bring back, what, an independent party? What do you... How does the revolution work? I believe there shouldn't be parties. I believe that no parties, that you should run on ideas and who you are. And not be part of these. Who does the backing? Who forms the groups? How do you get elected? That's the problem. Yeah. That's the problem. The problem is these groups. You know, as I would get in trouble with before, I used to call them the Democrips and the Rebloodlicans. These guys wear Brooks Brothers suits. What do you think of Hillary Clinton? Jesse, cut 32. Oh, no.
What do you think of Hillary Clinton? You met her. I met her. She's a very intelligent woman. I don't take anything away from her. But let's look at, are we a dual monarchy now, Larry? I mean, we've had only Bushes and Clintons for the majority of my voting life have been running this country. So the two elitist... parties, that's all they give us are Bushes and Clintons, because you technically could go back to 1980 when Bush was with Ronald Reagan. So from 1980 to 2008, 28 years, it's been Bushes and Clintons, and if Hillary wins, it'll be another eight. No, that's not a guarantee. It'll be another four. Four. Jesse. Unless, you know, he knows he's Nostra Jesse. Yep, he is. Nostra body. Anyway, he'll be on tomorrow. And we'll be able to ask him a lot of these questions. Oh, I thought we were just going to ask him wrestling questions. Oh, you thought you were doing the body. Well, I thought for sure. Probably not. Let me hear what Chef Ramsay had to say last night to one of the guys on the show Hell's Kitchen last night. And this guy, his name was Craig, and he was wearing a very tall hat. Got 68.
Nice hat. I'm five foot five. I've always been the short guy, the small guy. And the reason why I wear the chef hat is because I got to feel that I'm tall and I'm big in the kitchen. I've been cooking now for 21 years. I haven't quite come across a hat that size. Small boy syndrome downstairs. Explain the dish. It's a jerk-seared Chilean sea bass over rum raisin risotto. Everything's just so sweet. Well, the jerk seasoning offsets the sweetness of the risotto. The fish may have been doused in jerk seasoning, but... That's one thing I'm definitely not. A jerk. That is a pun. Come down to my kitchen again with a ridiculous hat on like that. I'll stick it in your sideways. I feel naked without it. There you go. It's Gordon Ramsey just giving his opinions out. He's a little blunt. Yeah, he's letting the guy know how he feels.
He has a policy where he says, I don't want to hold it in. He sure doesn't. Who is his policy? Let me ask you guys a question. What? I'm going to ask you something if you don't mind. What's up, Mike? What are our feelings on name brand versus generic? What are our feelings? Passionate. I'm passionate as well. This came up yesterday. I have a lot of feelings. Are we talking about products or are we talking about food or are we talking about all of it? Let's just put an umbrella under all of it. All of it. Oh, wow. Okay. And we can make the distinctions. I have distinctions and feelings. Yeah. Me too. Yep. All right. I'll begin. Then we'll go loop-de-loo. Then we'll go loop-de-lie. Nice. Then we'll go loop-de-loo. It's all on a Saturday night. So my feeling is that absolutely 100% no way on the food stuff. I mean, just no way in the world. No generic. Ridiculous.
No way on generic food stuff it will taste real weird. Now, I have a caveat to this, though. If I've never actually tasted the original product, I'd be good to go. The problem is that if you eat Fritos after you've already eaten Fritos, there's no going back. If you have Chitos after you've had Cheetos, It's not going to work. It don't taste the same. So you're saying Vaughn's brand Oreo cookies are not as good as the regular Oreo cookies. Not even in the same universe. Eddie, you agree? 100%. Anybody disagree with this? I do. Ash, you disagree? With certain food products. Give me an example of a food product you disagree with.
There is a delicious, cheap version of Cocoa Puffs, and I prefer it over the regular. Oh, come on. They're more crunchy. No way. And delicious. Really? What brand? What is it? They're called, like, cuckoo poofs. They're called, like, whatever. They're, like, the basic generic brand. But what do you get them? Like, at a grocery store. Which store? I used to get them back when I was in the Bay Area when I actually ate cereal. Don't know. Carbs. It was at the Safeway. Yeah. So Safeway brand. Vons. Yeah, because Albertsons here, they work with Safeway. So you see the same label on Albertsons products when you look at the bottom. No, I thought it was Vons. In fact, no, no, no. Your Safeway card should work at Vons. Are you sure? Yes. Are you positive? Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's right. It's Vons. It's Vons. Okay. Albertsons is one of them, right? No. Albertsons is Albertsons. Yeah, Safeway and Vons are owned by the same parent company. Okay. Well, then you can't get it there. But is there feelings on the products like Q-tips, toilet paper, eye drops, things of this nature? How dare you? Yeah, they're absolutely terrible compared to the original. Yeah. That one, I feel so strongly about it. Me too. I feel so strongly about it that I can't even tell you because I've never gone there. And I won't. From where?
I've never gone there. I've never even tried it. I won't do it. I refuse to even try. Is it generic? All I know is that cheesy poofs don't taste like cheesy poofs. And so I ain't going to try. Listen, I'll fork over the extra 21 cents. Yeah. That adds up over time, dude. Over 48 years. Try $1.50 on eye drops. I got a huge fight with my boyfriend about this. What was it? I was going to get him eye drops. Yeah. And he's like, get me the OpCon A. Very specific. Right. Go into Rite Aid. And there are the OpCon A, and there are the compare ingredients to OpCon A right next to it. Now, I didn't say that on the thing, but I compared the ingredients. Now, maybe I compared, like, the inactive ingredients, but I still compared the ingredients, and they were identical in the same order, everything. $1.50 cheaper. Gave them to him, and he was extremely offended. I bet that they put some sort of, like, soothing or conditioning agent in the brand name that's more comfortable. That's what he thinks, too. Like, it's not legit. Of course. It's more comfortable. Then why would anybody ever buy another thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like to save money, sure. They're kind of brainwashed. They think, oh, if you put a brand name on it, it's... You can't just make the same things. Hey, hey, hang on a second. Zeth is out getting breakfast right now, and I know he's listening. So, Zeth...
Go to Vons or some, I don't care where you go, but go someplace and pick us up some generics and regulars and bring them back. And let's do a test and see. Yeah, because I went through the same argument with my husband over Purell. You know, the hand sanitizer? I'd be afraid I'm getting Ebola if I put the generic. Same exact ingredients. They both say they killed 99.9% of germs. What's the difference? Because I feel like it's killing 91%. But it says right there. I know it says it, but that's all they do. Purell, that's all they're going to do is make that hand sanitizer. The other one, I don't know what they're doing. Is that true? The parent company of Purell probably makes shampoo and hairspray. Yeah, but they do that Purell stuff real good. Whatever. All I know is that generic stuff, man. No way. You guys are tripping. I ain't into it. No. Not going to happen. You're tripping. You're tripping. You're straight tripping. You're tripping on acid. P1, Derek. What's going on? Hey, generic all the way. Yeah!
What's up, generic? What do you eat? What do you have? What do you consume that's generic? I mean, all my cereal I buy is generic. Everything I buy. When I go to the store, I always buy the generic bread. Sounds like there's a theme with cereal. So cereal maybe is okay, but do you get... Oh, no, it is not. No, Eddie? Dude, if you have like the Vons Rice Krispies and taste them against the regular Rice Krispies... It's got to be gross. Huge difference. That's got to be gigantic difference. Sean, do you do generics at all? I do generics on a couple of things, but for the most part, no. I mean, I've tried them, you know, side by side and have always been disappointed, especially when it comes to like medication type stuff, eye drops and that kind of thing. The quality is less. It really is. It really is. I'm very proud as death. Did you hear us talk about this and you just did it? Yeah. Let me turn your mic on. Yeah? Yeah. Good kid. Look at that. He heard it and did it. I think it would be illegal for them to say, compare ingredients to these, this, and then it's the same ingredients. I agree, Ash. I'll tell you. This is what I believe is happening. Let's take the eye drops, for instance. I believe that, what's the name of the brand name? Opcon A. I believe that Opcon A has, this is the key. You know how they don't want to give away the recipe?
Like they can give the basic ingredients, but they can't give the recipe because then they're giving it. It's like when you buy tomato sauce or whatever. They'll tell you that there's tomatoes, that there's onions, blah, blah, blah. But they're not going to give you the little things that make it. No, no, no. I'm not even talking proportion. I'm saying that there's little tiny ingredients that make it delicious that they don't have to list. And the reason that they probably don't have to list it. That's illegal. They do. Because people have allergies. You can't not list something in a product. What if someone died? I bet there's a conditioning agent. Eddie, do you think or no? I'm not sure. You know, I honestly think that the quality of the products that they use are better than the generic. Dude, I don't know that we've done a topic that has blown the phones up this much.
Wow. 5701053. The phones are blowing up right now. Everybody wants to talk about it. Text us at 35253. Call us at 5701053. And Zet just came in with a bunch of generic stuff and real stuff because he heard us talking about it. We'll be right back. The TV Watchers Institute recommends watching two hours of television daily. But we believe that with AT&T Advanced TV, you can watch much more. TV teaches valuable lessons. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I consider myself the perfect Mexican. Wow. Eddie. I love Christmas. Sky. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I'm just rarely wrong. Sean. You know, I'm really terrible at getting gifts. Yes. Boston Rob. Keeping it tight.
That's what I'm doing. That sounded hard. And Ashley. I don't get along very well. I don't think with, like, normal, boring people. Oh, come on. Wait a minute. It's the Mikey Show on The Rock. Velvet Revolver has issued a statement saying that the band has officially parted ways with their singer, Scott Weiland. Indiana finds a head coach. They hired Marquette's head coach, Tom Crean. All right, we're going to do some... Generic brand name analysis here. Yeah. Very scientific. Yeah, we're going to do our own experiment. We're talking about generics versus brand names. Ashley. Ashley's the only one, man. No, I'm with her. You are? Well, not on the food. On the food. We even had the cuckoo poofs. You've got to have the cuckoo poofs, dude. They're cuckoo. Crunchier than the original. But on products, I'm okay with generic things. I'm going to try Clear Eyes Lubricant Eye Drops.
versus Safeway's sterile re-wetting drops. Oh, that sounds dangerous. It sounds like I filled that bottle before I came in. Let's talk to a couple people first. P1AJ, what's going on? I was just going to say I'm vegan, so it's hard for me to find a lot of food, obviously. But the generic brand of Oreos and a lot of the generic brands don't have dairy in them. So I can eat them. Like generic Oreos from Bonds. That sounds disgusting. That sounds horrific. Yeah, so what are they making it with? Soy? I doubt it. You know what? Zeth. You gotta go get the Oreos. You gotta. You gotta. We gotta try it. You will freak at the difference. But it's so gross. Yeah. I don't know. I've never tried. You will. Hey, Mikey. You get what you pay for. You think? No. Really? Mikey, my husband got so mad at me recently because I bought him generic brand waffles and not Egoban. My wife did that a couple times when we first started living together and I said, you will not do that again. You will not do that again. Wow. You give me the brands that I like.
You don't get me the damn generic Egos. This is my boyfriend, too. And you can tell instantly on those. Oh, please. It's a whole different chemistry. Lower your voice. I will not lower my voice. This is a very important thing. Raise your voice, in fact. Raise it. P1 Shawna Eddy, by the way, with the Ego branch, she ended her text message by saying whatever exclamation point. What do you mean whatever? Mikey, about six to seven months ago, there was something on the news about different brands of hand sanitizer being ineffective and causing more germs. See? What? Mikey, generic food is pretty gross tasting and doesn't compare to brand name. I do buy lots of generic products such as soap, body lotion, and meds. Oh, yeah. It's P1 Bridge. Meds? Yeah, meds do come in generic. In fact, you know how I take Adderall every once in a while? The doctor forgets the check must be brand name. Yeah. And so I get the generic Adderall. Oh. Yeah. Is there a difference? Well, yeah. On those particular days, I eat grass right from the... I can't even help it. I just get down on all fours and I start grazing on grass. That's bad. This one says, Mikey, you cannot put a patent on medicine of any kind. That's why they have generic medications. I say, whatever about you. What, Shawnee?
Well, you can, but it only lasts for, I think it's 50 years. And then after that, you can begin making generic versions of the product. It's like using, you know, good ingredients to me. Like you can either use tap water or you could use really good clean, you know, bottled water. I would prefer the bottled water. Now, check this out, you guys. This guy says, Mike, you were correct. Pharmaceuticals and some products have particular proprietary ingredients that the FDA doesn't require them to show. Like the secret ingredients. Now, the way that they would probably get away with it is if it's not like peanuts or nuts or something. I don't know. Maybe if they're in trace amounts. Trace amounts. Trace amounts. Trace amounts. Let's take some phone calls. P1 Military. Yeah, I'm calling Denver 5. Go ahead. You're on the air. All right. There's a reason that these products are cheaper, especially with the meds. You got to be careful. Because there was a while ago in the news, it came out that a local retailer that makes their own knockoff of like a Tylenol product, they found inside the pills like pieces of metal. So, you know, quality control, you know what I mean? There's a reason that stuff is cheaper. You know, they sacrifice.
No, they sacrifice the people that are maybe standing over it, making sure. But, I mean, you know, we've heard horror stories about all types of things. No, we haven't. But, fellas, over 10 years, I can save $1.45. That's a good savings. P1J. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good, man. Hey, I'm actually a pharmaceutical sales rep. And between a branded medication and a generic medication, the FDA actually allows a variance of a molecule by anywhere from 5% to 10%. Even when you're going and getting a generic or over-the-counter medication, it can be different than the branded medication on the molecule level. Can you imagine? That's exactly, yeah. Well, wait a minute. Ash, that's not good. No, I know. That's exactly what my boyfriend. My boyfriend. My boyfriend. My boyfriend. My boyfriend. My boyfriend. And my fiance, for being honest. No, my boyfriend. That's exactly what he said. He said that the molecule proportion in the generic is not as strong. I am now going to put... I'm going to put clear... I'm going to put clear... I'm going to put... I'm going to put clear eyes in my left eye. Don't do it. I'm putting Safeway sterile re-wetting drops. There's pieces of metal in that mic. All right, let's try it out. Here comes the first, the left eye and clear eyes. Fabulous.
so good. Stop being so dramatic. Oh, you make me feel like dancing. I'm going to dance the night away. You're being dramatic. That feels nice. That's good. Alright, so that was the Clear Eyes name brand. Full hearts, can't lose. That's right. And here comes the Safeway Sterile Red Wedding Drops and I'll be honest and I'll tell you if I can feel any difference. Liquid sandpaper. I immediately tasted it in the back of my throat. Ew. Gross. I'm being complacent. I'm being completely honest with you. I swear I'm being completely honest with you. Now, this may be an ear, nose, and throat thing. I'm not kidding. I immediately tasted saline in my throat with the Safeway sterile re-wetting drops. Well, to be fair, you put those right in your mouth. I did. I did. I mean, in the spirit of fairness. Well, you know how your nasal passages are all connected.
What? It is? Yeah. Get out. But all I can tell you is, all I can tell you is, I could taste it when I put the sterile re-wetting drops in my mouth. Oh, that's weird. In my eyes. What does that mean? Well, it means that Clear Eyes is doing something that is not having me taste a saline taste in the back of my mouth. So you're saying you would prefer not to taste your eye drops? I think so, yeah. Okay. I think so. I mean, if it's, you know, my druthers. Yep, whatever, dude. Okay. But it is comfortable. I will say that. The generic one. See, and that's usually the deal. It does the job. It doesn't do it as nicely and as elegantly. I would like to do the Kleenex test. I'm a big Kleenex user. Sky was looking at the ingredients. There are different active ingredients in the different products. The Clear Eyes has two different lubricating active ingredients. The percentage is higher. What about the inactive ingredients?
The generic Safeway doesn't list inactive ingredients. Oh, no. They only list their active ingredients. I swear to you. I'm telling you the truth. Right now, I can't describe it any other way than my left eye feels all nice and slippery. And my right eye feels like, oh, it's time to change the windshield wipers. Really? Really? It's very subtle. Now, if I had used the generic... Hang on. If I had used the generic in both eyes, I wouldn't know the difference. I'd never know the difference. But because I put one in each, that left eye feels real slippery and good. Yeah, and it's weird because your right eye is now green. Oh, great. That's not good. All right, so Eddie. Eddie. Eddie, now, I'm not going to... Did you already see which is which? No. Okay, come around. Be cool. Hang on. Hang on. Oh, you're the worst, Mike. He's like dropping stuff everywhere. He's trying to be all still. All right, Eddie. Oh, he's already mixed them up. He doesn't even know anymore. All right, Eddie. Yes. Here is the first one. You have it in your hand. He's blowing. Do you have to actually blow your hand? Get after it. Why not? I'm getting over bronchitis. Get that dirty tissue away.
Eddie, this is tissue B. I can feel a difference without even blowing my nose. Calm down. Well, I'm an expert on noses. B was a lot nicer. The texture seemed to hold together better with all my snot. This guy is like waving your hand like you farted or something. B was clearly way better than... A. B was Kleenex brand, Eddie, so you picked the brand name. Eddie, check this out. Take the generic Kleenex and just try to take one out. Jeez, come on. Oh, to tug a little. Sky, take a Kleenex out. Is that so hard for you to do? I mean, you gotta yank on the thing just to get a Kleenex out of it. You gotta yank a little harder. You do! Let me ask Ashley one thing. Go ahead. Now, smoking, would you buy...
Whatever you're smoking, Parliament Lights, Marble Lights, or some Old Gold. No way. Or maybe Mustang. Does it say on the Mustang box? Does it say on the Mustang box compared to Parliament Light ingredients? Probably not. Well, wait a minute. It doesn't say that on all those. It's tobacco. It's tobacco. But you can clearly taste the difference. Let me sit down. P1 Julie. Hi, how are you? Go ahead. I totally agree about the food and the products. It's a matter of personal taste. But for the medicine, you get a patent for 20 years, and then it expires. And so then anybody can make it, but it's the exact same formula. Anybody? Well, anybody who's got a lab. Yeah, Rob does. He's got a lab. It's called his bathtub. Yeah, it's called his bathtub. He makes something called crystal methamphetamine. He also makes parody songs in the lab. That's right. P1 Julie, thank you for the call. Okay, we're going to close our eyes, and I want Zeth to... Give us two cookies. Okay. Okay, guys, close your eyes. Great visual. And Seth is going to give us a cookie, and we're going to try each of the cookies. We have Oreo brand, and we have generic brand. What is the generic brand called? Tuxedos, dude. No, it is not. They're awesome. They're called orcas. All right. They're called penguins? Yes. Let's do it.
And just so we know, the products we've already gone through with the Kleenex, there's a 50 cent difference in price. It's worth the 50 cents to be able to take the Kleenex out of the box. And then with the eye drops, it was a $1.25 difference between the name brand and the generic. That's a lot of money. I mean, that's a lot. Thank you. But look in your eyes the way they feel. Yeah, but one's more comfortable, Ash. You want your hubby to be comfortable? Well, I understand. I told him I'd never do it again. Yeah, your husband. I told him I would never do it again because he was offended and I don't want it ever. Wait, Zeth, what did you say? In the right hand is going to be Oreo 1. Look at him speak up. Right hand is Oreo 1. Here we go. Delicious. Tastes nice. This is so funny to watch. Here comes Oreo 2. Number 1 is great. I love number 1. I love number 1. All right, Eddie. Easy. Eddie, I have to be honest. It's hard to tell the difference. Oh, wow. No, there is a distinct difference. Let me try number two again. Yeah, it's very close. I can't really tell. I can't really tell. Get out. I can't really tell. I love number two. You love number two. They're both delicious. This is crazy, Eddie. Eddie. Dang it. Here's what I think. Yes. Yes.
I believe that number two is the Oreo and number one is the generic. I disagree. You believe opposite? I think number one is the Oreo because it was a little bit firmer and the taste was a little bit more distinct. But number two was very good. Yeah, it was very close. You guys were correct. Oh, my gosh. And they tasted the same to me. The number two was decent. The tuxedo was all right. But I would prefer the Oreo. Why? Because of the name. Is it the name, Eddie? No question about it. Wow. But there was a distinct difference to me in the firmness of the cookie. Yeah, I would buy Juicy Contour. Yeah, seriously. Oh, my gosh. With that, there's a $2 price difference between the generic and the regular Oreo. I was just sold on tuxedos. If you've got kids and they're blowing through you and they care. They do care. Wow. Yeah, that was not bad. It's not easy. It's not easy. Hey, it's Mikey, dude. You're on the air. Go ahead. Mikey, what's up? If you look at the manufacturers on the labels, they should be labeled because a lot of the companies just try to expand their business and create a new product.
But they have it where they just call it something else. But it's the same exact thing to expand their business. A lot of times if you look at the manufacturer, it's going to be the same company like ConAgra Foods or something like that. Thank you. Scam artist. Genius. I like that. That was a pretty cool little. So how do we feel now? That one they sold me on. Not the eye drops. But see, when we went into this, we were all out on food. and we were kind of okay on products. And now we're backwards. I would want to try something else, though, because I think we got lucky. This is one I've tried before. What? The, like, Vaughn's version of the mac and cheese as opposed to the Kraft mac and cheese. It is, like, a whole different consistency. It's not even shaped like Ninja Turtles. Exactly, Skye. Oh, that upset Eddie. I don't, why? That was not good. I didn't think they offered the Ninja Turtle. Take a turn, Sky. He's not messing around when he's talking about macaroni and cheese, okay? It's not a laughing matter. My bad. Wow. Sorry, Eddie. Got an email we can all relate to, and it's next. We're listening to The Mikey Show. Go for a spin. Californians win every month. Could be you. We've got a bad situation in the south. 163, an earlier accident that resulted in a car fire here as well. Southbound 163 past Mesa College has traffic backing up on the approach there. And they've also shut down both east and westbound sides of Genesee, or actually Mesa College, to get onto the freeway here. So you can't do that either. So a traveler has mentioned advising you to avoid the area. But sure, freeways aren't too bad. Here's the southbound side of the five. Still finding some breakouts out of Encinitas and Solana Beach. And South Ponce out of the 15, a little bit slow from the 78 still down to Villarancho Parkway and off and on again to Carmel Mountain Ranch. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Apple bottom jeans, what up? Shorty got low. Here's the deal. Downtown San Diego, hard rock, what up? So excited. Bring it on. You're excited. Yeah. Yeah, because Friday we're going to be big pimping. Oh, dude, it's going to be off the chain. Yeah. Is that still what the kids are saying? Yes. Cool, all right. That's what I'm talking about. Hey, listen, if you have the opportunity to, why would you not get on the ground floor of something so awesome as to be part owner of the Hard Rock downtown San Diego? You're rolling out downtown. You see some gaggle of gals walking around. You go, hey, ladies, I own the Hard Rock real good. And you wouldn't be lying because you could. I give peanut butter to my boyfriend, and he speaks to them. I love that thing. And they're doing like McPew. Wait, what? A kitty McPew. First of all, I call. This is on the dog. My dog has a gas problem. My dog foot. Silent but Pugly. I do.
Mikey's show continues. Rock 105.3. Rob, what is Melissa? Almond Brothers, dude. Get with it. Come on. Is this the one that goes... A commercial for... No, I've never heard it. Dude, this song. Yeah. Back in Boston, we used to go see these guys. Thank you, Rob. You never heard this song for real? I really never have. Never? I've heard a lot of songs. I would say that I would doubt very seriously that this was a hit. Oh, it was a hit. Oh, it was a hit. Yeah, because I've been working on radio 20 years. But have you worked in Boston radio, Mike? Very good point, Sky. Very good point. By the way, really enjoyed Rob's blog today. About? Now you got me curious. Well, it's just a game recap of last night's Red Sox game. No, it isn't. A recap? It's a recap. I refuse to believe that that's what it is. I know that that would be foolish, Mike, and I know that you don't really believe that he would be that foolish to do that, but...
Go ahead, take a look. www.mikieshow.com. You're going to get upset about that? Eddie, the reason I don't believe it is because he knows that blogs are a place where he lets listeners know what's going on in his life. That's the biggest thing going on in my life right now. Let's see here. The Sox took a W last night, and Dice K looked good. He went six and two-thirds innings. Struck out nine and only allowed two hits. Overall, it was great. American opening day game. The Sox looked like the trip overseas and the jet lag was starting to wear off and the bats were starting to make some noise. I was completely disappointed that Tech was robbed of a sick two-run home run. It was disheartening. But it was at least good to see him hit. After this past week of hitless plate appearances. 0-15. It's a game recap. Yesterday was Sox opening day in America. Calm down, Rob. The blogs, we want to learn about you, Rob. It would have been interesting to hear where you watched the game, maybe what you had to wear when watching the game, your interaction with other people during the game. I would find that interesting. Alright, then in tomorrow's blog...
You're banned from talking about the socks. What? No. You need a chill pill. And you can get some of my generic chill pills at bostonrob.edu. I love the Red Sox. I do. I do. They bring people together. They're an extension of my family. They hate you. No, they don't. Don't say that. That's a horrible thing to say to a person. I heard that when they look at you, they're on a vomit. I heard you be quiet. I heard that too, Sky. It's true. Don't. Huh? Weird. I'm looking at Ashley's blog. I'm sorry about that. Oh, my doggie. And she has apparently discovered that she can post photographs. Yeah, I did. She puts photos of her dog and you're getting mad at me. I'm going to put pictures up every day now if I can. Ashley, the pug looks like it's ferocious. Like, she looks like she's going to attack. You did not mean that. That's the ugliness, Mike.
Eddie, she... It's one of the ugliest dogs ever. Eddie, Eddie. I'm sorry. I've been holding my comments back. I've been holding my comments back. I'm sorry. Eddie, Eddie. In each picture. Eddie, this is the expression in every photograph of the dog. But Mike, what would your face look like if you had gas like that? And Lennon had to wear pink hoodies. She's got a pink hoodie on her. I mean, it could be the ugliest dog in America. I'm sorry. I like you. I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt her feelings. The dog is half pug and half seal, right? What is the dog? Pugly? It's half pug, half anus. I'm sorry. I like you. I like you. What is that? I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you, but your dog is really ugly. Shut up! Proof is in the pudding. Go to the website. It's the cutest freaking dog in the whole freaking world. Opposite. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. We all have been talking behind your back. We've never discussed that dog before. Mike, that's not true. Oh my gosh, all my dogs ugly? Especially this guy.
Don't believe him. I thought that outfit was very cute. My dog's ugly. No, I never said that. I don't think your dog is ugly. I think it's ferocious. That's a puppy. Like, it looks like an old man. That dog looks ferocious. Yeah, your dog doesn't look like a puppy. It does look like an old man. She's a year and a half. She looks like she's going to kill somebody. Yeah. Like, Michael Vick had that dog first. Yes. Michael Vick trained that dog. Well, she's pretty tough for her size. Yeah, no, we could see that by the scowl and the bare teeth. No, that's her mean face. It's cute. Tell her we want lemon face, not lion face. You guys want me to bring her into her? No. No. Maybe after plastic surgery. You should. Your dog's part skunk. We don't need that in here. I mean, she does smell a little, but I'll keep her in here, I think. Oh, gross. I love her. No. No. Zeth makes a pretty good point on his blog. I have to agree. He says those eyelash curler things are probably one of the scariest looking things that people have ever seen. I agree with that. They're creepy looking, man. They're part scissor, you know, part hot dog griller. Why are you using eyelash curlers, Zeth? I'm not. I'm just saying. We've all seen them. That's a little weird, though. How else is he going to elongate his eyelashes? Is that it? He's blogging about makeup.
Yeah, Rosie! Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, Esquire, the third. You know what's brutal? You poke yourself in the eye with your eyeliner. To take your napkin and blot it. Mascara is about the wrong color of leaves. Ashley makes me cry when I'm wearing generic mascara. I don't think I can take that. The point is just humility. It hurts. You look like Ashley's dog. What? Oh, wow. What? You're much more attractive. Won't even go into Sean's blog, if you don't mind. Sky's blog's talking about her grandmother's birthday. They went out and had a nice dinner. Eddie's got a great blog today about how ridiculously dumb it is that American Idol has those mentors on it. What could be worse than Gloria Estefan? He really does. Wow. Time for an American Idol rant.
I never thought the show could do worse than glorious stuff one night, but congratulations, Dolly Parton. I don't understand the need for this. Why do they feel they have to do these ridiculous theme nights? Let these kids sing what they want. Can you imagine? It's American Idol. Sing what you want. Yeah. If you do good, good. If you don't, okay. And it can't be a licensing thing because they got the Beatles, man. They get everybody. They get everybody. So it's not that. They're trying to appeal to too many people. I guess. And it's dumb. It's really annoying. Our text number is 35253. September 11th, Commission Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton is going to endorse Obama. Hacksaw? That's right. I endorse Obama. I want to hear from you, black voters. Sitting on the five. That's different. They have the same name, but they're different people. Yeah, right. One guy is in the office right next to ours. How you doing, hot shorts? Yeah. No, I cannot help you with your printing problem. You wanted us back. Here we are. Now call in, please. I have no show with no callers. No, no. That guy is great. Awesome. Jim Rome has been doing a Lee Hacksaw Hamilton impression.
I don't think people even know what he's doing anymore. I don't either. Jim Rome worked at Extra Sports 690 when he was here in San Diego. That's where he got his start. Shut up. And so whenever you hear Rome on the air, you listen to him, right? Whenever you hear Rome go, goodnight now. I want to hear from you. All that stuff. is him doing Hacksaw. Whoa. That's brutal. Yeah, so I said to Hacksaw, I've always known, and sometimes he'll really get into it, and he'll do like five minutes, and he'll be like, Poway, let me hear you on the five. Call me right now on the inside line. From the Baja border to the blah, blah, blah. And whenever he does that, he's doing Hacksaw. Yeah. And so I went into Hacksaw, because Hacksaw's office is directly next door to our office. And so I... I went in and I thought, 98% of me thought they know each other and they're probably friends. Lee, is that all good? You know, the Rome stuff? Oh, well, you know. Yeah. I don't think they were. I don't think they're having lunch is all I'm saying. I didn't get the feeling that they were having lunch later in the day.
That's brutal, man. I never knew that. Oh, absolutely. But now, I mean, whenever I hear it now, it just has all of that, you know, you know exactly what's going on. Yeah, they work together. Quick time out. And now Hacksaw supports Barack Obama. That is correct. That is unbelievable. Those are the facts. Want to text us? Do it. 35253 is the number. What is today? What is today? I love playing poker. I love all these things. Sky. I'm extremely responsible when it comes to money. Sean.
Well, you know what? I'm a non-conformist. Boston Rock. You guys know that if I don't write stuff on my hand, I'm an idiot. And Ashley. And then I look to get attention. Save that one. I will not. And you can't. On Rock 105.3. Force feed cookies. When do you think the last time you had a cookie is? What's the last time you had a cookie? Mike, come in, please. Yesterday morning, coming in, my girl got me one from Panera. They got the best cookies ever since. What? Dude, we went there for dinner the other night. I told you about it. Don't make fun of me. I got the Fuji apple salad. It was awesome. Oh, man. It's my wife's favorite. Are you keeping it in the glove box next to your sandwich? No, it stays on my front seat. Okay, my bad. I don't have a cool lunch bell like Mike. I'm sorry. Sky, how disgusting was it when he was eating that at this point? That was so gross. I almost vomited. No, that sandwich was...
Rob had a turkey sandwich in his car all day yesterday. I made it last night during the game. It spent the night in the car and he took it out this morning and started eating it. And then what did he say while he was eating it? I don't want to say it. You need to. You need to tell the world what's going on. Because you guys ever notice how when you let turkey sit in your car overnight it smells like tuna? It tastes like tuna. And as he's continuing to eat it. And we all at the same time go, oh my, get out of here. So gross. Off the air, half an off the air. Man, you got a lot of problems. It really does. So disgusting. But then he won't put an Oreo cookie in his mouth. That's gross, Tim. That's disgusting. That's right. Back on the B-Rob diet. You can too, if you want, you can just go to BostonRob.edu and Buy my Boston Rob diet plan. Eat rotten turkey. I will come to your house. Yeah, go to eatrottenturkey.org. So gross. I gotta get that website going. I gotta go home, get in bed. The sinus. It's my sinus. Are you okay? Well, it makes me sick. It's an infection, you know, so it makes me sick. You'll feel good? Well, I need shots to get rid of my, you know, allergies. Whoa, you gotta go back to drinking? It's a little extreme, Mike.
I mean, we're here for you. Guys, it's just crown. It'll be fine. Oh, okay. All right. It's real sweet, okay? Oh, my God. I just got to... I am from the front desk that my mom left a message up there that said that she loves me. Oh, whoa. Are you kidding? What are you talking about? She is just... Dude, she is... Look it up in my screen. Up top. Sideway smiley face. I guess she couldn't get through the line in there, but she loves you. Aww. That's a little embarrassing. She's probably sending a clear general call. Get her on the phone. My mom? Yeah. Your mom? I'm not surprised that she did that. She called me at one in the morning. Is she in New York right now? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll call her work. Hold on. She is something else, man. She's the best. She's a piece of work. They are so opposite, too. Like, you would think she should be my mom with the weird stuff she does. You would think that... Did I tell you about the bullion thing?
Yes. Off the air. Last conversation I had with her, she was trying to convince me to invest in silver bullion. Why? Sky knows better than me, but she said because the country is going into a money crisis, she thinks that they're going to start melting nickels down to do something. Because it costs more to actually make a nickel. It costs like 10 cents to make a nickel. So if you took a bunch of nickels and melted them down, The metal is actually worth more than the face value of a nickel. So Rob's mom is going to be carrying around bricks of metal. Of nickels. Yes. Melting him at her house, I guess, is something. I don't know. So if you want those, you go to my website, Boston Rob. All right. How many times? Stop it. Shut up. My wife loves Rob's mom. Oh, she's so cool. And so they hung out in New York with Eddie's wife. Yeah. So it was Eddie's wife, my wife, and Rob's mom, who looks like she's the same age, by the way. You know, his mom looks like she's about 30 years old. And is she something else, man? They were driving around Manhattan in a convertible. Scared for their lives. Yes. His mom's driving, and Rebecca said, it was a thrill ride. And I go, why? What was going on? She goes, she's like, you know, full on New York.
Honking, rolling her window. Watch yourself where you're going over here. What you're doing, please. Oh, my goodness. With the right turn with no blinker already. She's yelling at people. And she's doing all that. And I said, oh, man. And she lived here for a while. We're really good friends, too. And when she lived here, she'd call me. She goes, you want to know what your nickname is, Ashley? You're Cotton Candy. Because every time I see you, you remind me of something pink and sweet. Wow. Wow. She is something else. She's something else. When she MySpace messages me. She used to be on the radio. She used to have her own radio show. No, she's still on the radio. And you have her on the phone? No, I'm trying to call her, but it's hard to get in touch with her. She doesn't have a cell phone. Why? Because she believes it is going to give her brain cancer or something.
I would think she'd be like, don't use cell phones, Robert. No, she probably has a whole thing on that, but it's not because of that. But I was just listening to her answer machine message, and she sings on it. Oh, come on. Can you give me the number? Can you text? Can you IM me the number so I can call it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just type it right there, and I'll see it. Yeah, it's out of control. She's at work. I hate how Rob doesn't put dashes when he writes phone numbers. That's so old school. Get with it, man. Yeah, dashes are overrated. It's so hard to read it, though. Yeah, she's not going to answer. She's at work, so. But you got to hear this answer. Yeah. She's going to kill me when I did this. You're going to freak out when you hear this. You're going to lose it. Spring is in the air with flowers everywhere. Spring is in the air and it'll soon be here.
That's for those of you, all of my friends and family, who have popped on me about my holiday message. Either way, leave me your phone number, time of day you phoned, and I will promptly get back to you and have a glorious day. My wife probably, by herself, my wife out loud probably just shook her head and said, I love her. Wow. She's so crazy. I love that. She's the best. She's the best. Spring is in the air. She's a poet, too. I love how, like, you know, spring is in the air. No smile. Spring is in the air. Rob, what was the holiday message? Yeah, what was that? I don't think I heard it. Merry Christmas to you. No, she does this thing, and every, like, month or so, every month or so, she...
You know, she writes a lot of poetry. She has a couple books. So she'll do some of her... What? Like published books? A couple of books? No, she has a couple of her own. You guys know her by her name, Anne Rice. She goes by the name Anne Rice. No, no, no. But yeah, she has a bunch of stuff published too. But she writes for... I forget what magazine. But yeah, she does radio. She writes. She does poetry. She does everything. Queen of all media. Triple threat. That's right. This text says, hey, Mikey, Allman Brothers Band is awesome. Kidding. Yeah, this is actually the first time I've laughed, like, I don't know, in the past couple days. That's a real clip. Yeah, but it's so dramatic, Mike. I know. Well, she was upset. Shut up. What was going on? The world was on. What was going on? Your house burned up? Yeah. Do you want to talk to my mom? I would like to talk to your mom, but first I'd like to say K-I-O-Z San Diego. K-I-O. K-I-O. Bingo. On the phone with us right now is a very special guest. She is a star of The Written Page. Adeline's Chronicles.
That's right. She's the star of Adeline's Chronicles. You also know her from her publishing works. She also had a radio show on for a period of time. And she's my distinguished guest. And if I could have the Behind the Actor's Studio music, please, thank you very much. Ladies and gentlemen, every once in a great while comes along a talent unlike any other. We give a very warm Inside the Actor's Studio welcome to... You know, we're not going this year, darling. Why? Because the radio station decided that they were going to have another station go. Yeah. Wow. That's right. They're going to have another. I'm looking forward to our tavern on the green in Central Park buggy ride. I didn't get to do that. I wanted to do that. You did that with all the ladies, but I didn't get to go.
I know. How is your darling wife, Rebecca, and your beautiful son? She and he are both fantastic, although he's getting over the flu. Oh. He's getting over the flu. That's right. He's getting over the flu. But other than that, everything has been very good. How are you doing? What is happening in your life? What's new? Oh, let me tell you what's new. Well, I still have the radio show, Adeline's Chronicle. I have to plug this. It's on every Saturday. She's the best. This is Boston Rob's mother. Who, by the way, looks like she's about 33 years old. And left him a message with the front desk that she loved him. Yes. That is correct. Yes, I love him. I love you, Mom. I miss you so much, Rob. I'm so proud. And my son's engaged, Mikey. Can you believe it? I can't believe it. Right? Which one? I can't believe it. I'm going to be... A grandmother one day. I can't wait. That's when I go back to... Take it easy. One step at a time. Adeline, his fiance's beautiful. Your son is very handsome. They'll make beautiful children someday. You know what? We are very lucky. And Skye, how are your trees, by the way? Oh, they're doing great. Your son's been doing a wonderful job helping with the landscape. He's a very hard worker. You should be very proud of him.
Hey, Eddie, I've got to tell you something that really stunned me last night. They had both the Mets playing and the Yankees playing on TV at the same time. That's amazing. Isn't that something? I was like, this is in New York. What are the TV stations doing? They're stealing ratings. Now, hang on, Adeline. I have a question. Go ahead. What does Adeline's Chronicles deal with? I interview authors. I interview authors, a lot of authors. Like what kind of books? Oh, I just interviewed a newspaper recently called The Independent out of Manhattan. And we, of course, discussed the Iraq War. I hope you guys are talking about that. Yeah, yeah. Is that still going on?
I hope we stay there another hundred years if that's what it takes for us to get the job done. But you know what? We should chronicle that. Sky has a question, Adeline. Now, Adeline, you know, I'm the news girl here on the show. And through my research this morning, I was reading that there was some sort of like fallout or heated debate regarding your outgoing Christmas message, your holiday message. And that's why we now have the beautiful spring message. So I was wondering if we could get clarification on what that holiday message was. My holiday message, it just went on for three months past the holidays. And what was the message? What were you saying or seeing? Now, you know, normally I do write a poem. In fact, I'm sending my son Happy Birthday 21st to Gabriel Early on the Mikey Show. That's great. Gabe! I usually put poetry on my answering machine, but this time I was singing, Skye. I loved it. It was beautiful.
I know it. Thank you very much. It's the best. What were you singing, Adeline? You know, there's a tune called Spring is in the Air. Yes. You know, like love is in the air. Yes. And the flowers everywhere. There you go. Love it. What's up, Rob? It's awesome. Tell me, is Jake into the terrible twos? Like you wouldn't believe. He really is. He really is. So we told him, you know, you got 30 days to straighten up or we're going to have to evict you. Wow. No, he's got 30 days to straighten up, or you're going to have another one real soon. Yeah, that'll drive him nuts. That's what he needs. That'll drive him nuts. He thinks that certain words are very funny right now, Adeline. Oh, okay. Like rent. The word turtle is really funny to him. He thinks that's hysterical. Yeah, just like his dad. Yeah, I think that's a good one, too. Well, the beginning. I like that. That's very West Coast. He also likes when you put certain words together. When you say walk and rock together, that's extraordinarily funny to him. So he likes, like, alliteration? Yes, he does. Yes, he does. Yes, he does. Adeline, it was wonderful to talk to you. You're a dear, and we love you. I'm going to miss you this April. You guys usually come for the draft, and I was so looking forward to it. God bless all of you. God bless. Yes. She's a darling. And I miss all of you, and thanks.
for keeping my son employed you know probably I love you Rob Adeline if you could say just a couple of words to Rob about getting to my email quicker I would appreciate that so much that's right alright Adeline give Rebecca a hug I will do that thank you Adeline have a great day you guys we'll see ya sorry about Al love ya hello hello So there's a guy on American Idol that sang a Chris Cornell song, but he didn't really give it credit. He didn't really say it was Chris Cornell's version. He sang Billie Jean, Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. Well, see, Chris Cornell did it first. Yeah, and they're trying to now, like... you know, like, backpedal. Right. And now he's, like, overdoing it, giving credit to everything he's ever found. That's BS. But, yeah, when he sang that Chris Cornell version of Billie Jean and the judges went crazy for it, because I'm sure they've never heard the Chris Cornell version, I was furious. I'm like, dude, he ripped that off. Here's the Chris Cornell version. It's exactly the same. American Idol doing the same thing, cut 74. This version of Billie Jean, here's David Corky. He sounds really good doing it. Yeah.
He really does. Did they fix that audio? Or did Ryan Seacrest say that when it originally aired? I think he said it, but what does that mean to most of America? Right, right, right. Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean, I'm sure most people haven't heard that. But see, that's the thing. And it's a carbon copy of it, so that's what was kind of making me mad. I swear, it might be crazy that I remember Ryan saying Michael Jackson's version, and that sprung something to my head, like, it should be Chris Cornell. Well... See, I had Sean get this audio today. Right. And so what it made me think is I wonder if Fox and American Idol are kind of like scrambling. I'm telling you. And they're doing overdubs of. Yeah.
Ryan Seacrest saying, and now Chris Cornell. That wouldn't surprise me. You know what I mean? Because it kind of became an issue. And Chris Cornell just a couple days ago did an interview with Billboard where they were asking him about it. And he was like, yeah, I think, don't get me wrong, the guy did a great job. But that was my arrangement note for note. And for the show to act like that was his arrangement, you know, that's not cool. Absolutely. Yeah, that was making me mad. I don't think it originally aired with Seacrest saying this is Chris Cornell's version. I'm telling you. I don't think it did. Well, they talked about it, like, the results show the day after. And they were saying, you know, oh, Chris Cornell said how great of a job you did. And, you know, it's like, whatever. And then even last night they had to sneak it in when they were doing the little, like, pre-interview before David Cook performed last night. Right. They had to address it. And he goes, oh, yeah, well, you know, lots of times I take other artists' arrangements of songs. I find them online and I do that. Yes. Didn't Daughtry do it too? He did it with the live version of Ring of Fire. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But remember, Daughtry never said anything about it until a big controversy came out. So either way, it's just kind of lame to me. Yeah, it's weak, you know? Paula Abdul was on a TV show called The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.
They asked her to give her top four American Idol contestants. Cut 21. Do you have a winner this season? If you could pick. I'll tell you who I think is going to be the top four. Harley, David, David, Michael, Johns, and Brooke. That's five people. That's five people. Appreciate that. Thank you very much. She said top four, though. Idiot. Is it going to be a tie? I would definitely say Donnie, Michael, Allison, Peter, and Zeth. Roosevelt, Zethian Oates, the third Esquire. David Letterman had John McCain on the show. What? Cut 25. Hi, how are you doing? You think that stuff's pretty funny, don't you? Well, you look like a guy whose laptop would be seized by the authorities. What? You look like a guy caught smuggling reptiles in his pants. What?
Good morning, everybody. You look like the guy who the neighbors later say he mostly kept to himself. You look like the night manager of a creepy motel. All right, thank you. That's what I need. Katherine Heigl is not a beating. I want you to keep that in mind as I tell you the next story, okay? She clearly is. Because she says that she didn't, you know, force her man to proposed to her but she did she admits strongly suggest that he proposed to her that's what she's saying right yeah uh that was that's her exact quote quote i didn't propose to him but i strongly suggested that he proposed to me she goes on to tell the story that one day they were sitting around her place talking having some wine
And she asked him how he feels about marriage. And then where does he see their relationship going? Because she doesn't want to just date anymore. I see. And then, surprisingly, he popped the question. Oh, what do you know? Romantic. That is very romantic. 5701053, we have a couple in the studio right now that got engaged today. And he did it on the air. Very nice. And theirs was romantic. That's right. 570-1053 is our phone number at the beginning and end of every show. We do something called an open phone segment. So you can call in about anything you want at the beginning and end of every show. So give us a call right now. We'll take a couple of calls. And then we'll call it a day. We'll call it a day. We'll get back together tomorrow morning. And during that period of time that we're broken up. I just want you to keep in mind, it doesn't mean that you guys can just go do whatever you want. Yes, it does. No, dude. We're on a break. We're on a break. We're only on a break, though, for like 19 hours. Where are you going to be? I'm going to be waiting to meet up with you guys again. Yeah, right. I trust that. Yeah, whatever. Whatever. You have a meeting with Laura Cain. Mikey Show. Hello. I know. Can you believe it? Hey, one John. Hi, John. He's going to point the finger at us. Hey, Mikey. I have a girlfriend.
She keeps drinking. Yeah. I'm way in love with her. She's really in love with me. Write me an email, bro. Write me an email. Write me an email. No. No problem. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Mikey Show. Hello. P1 James Valley Center. I just want to say I love myself some generic puffed rice, baby. Puffed rice. Puffed rice. Does that sound good? Puffed rice. Puffed rice. So hungry now. What a clown. Puffed rice. Clown school. Clown school right there. Mikey Show. Mikey Show, what up? What's up, dude? Hey, I was calling to see if you guys had heard about the radio station that played a practical joke of tattooing a baby yesterday. No way. Where at? I don't know. I heard it on an L.A. station this morning. Really? Yeah, I was going to see if you guys wanted to find out more info on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll find out. That sounds like a pretty, because, you know, with the sound and all that stuff, you could probably do a pretty good job of faking it. They said they had, like, tons and tons of people calling in and, like, calling the authorities and stuff. I bet they did, man. I bet they did. This is so funny. I wanted to hear it. That's funny.
Do you know where it was? What city? Sky's got it. Sky's got it. Out of L.A., Joey Medina and Kid Corona on 96.3's Morning Invasion. Oh, really? That's not like a country station is what you're saying? That's in Los Angeles. Medina and Corona, they're the best. That's right. Well, you've got to put a lime in it. Exactly. And then put your thumb and turn it upside down. I guess the LAPD showed up. I see. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Boston Rob, this is Bear. What's going on, man? What can I do for you, bro? Well, you know, I had a question for you guys. One, I wanted to ask Mikey where some good meetings were in the area. I've been sober a little over a year. But the other question was, during the fires down here, I had my girlfriend drop off some business cards where I have a handyman service and I was going to volunteer. Rob, will you help that gentleman out? Yep. I have to go tinkle. So bad. Oh, no. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Missy is up next today on the new All Request Lunch. Enjoy. She'll do those requests for you. We'll see you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show's out late. Love your mouth.
