The countdown is on five days. Well, until you're 35. It's your birthday. It's your birthday. We have five days until birthday time. Welcome to the program, ladies and gentlemen. It's Thursday, April the 3rd. Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. Oh. And next Tuesday is Eddie's birthday. It's a big birthday month. And that's right. Welcome. It's 6.08. John Hartley says that he's staying in the race for city council even though he was arrested last week for indecent exposure and lewd conduct. Oh. Trevor, please don't start this again. Trevor Hoffman allowed four two-out runs in the ninth inning to lose to the Houston Astros 9-6 last night. No. Worst. Please don't. Please, I'm begging. It was the worst. I remember a while back talking to our friend Amy, who used to set us up to sit in the skybox at the Padre games. And it was during a time, I don't remember if it was last season, the beginning, you know, before last season started or the season before.
where there was talk about trying to get some value for Trevor Hoffman. And I remember just, I didn't really have an opinion either way. And I was talking to her about it and she was like, can't get rid of Hoffie, you know, he's the greatest, like he's a San Diego Padre and a greatest, you know. And I remember when this was happening a little bit last year and it's now, you know, who knows, probably work itself out, whatever. He's a talented guy, he's still relatively young. And at the same time, Well, you know, we can't, we don't last forever. You know, we're not, we're all fallible. Things happen. You know, we get older. And I wonder, now I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with Trevor. He'll probably work this out. But I do wonder, well, when is it? When does it happen where the little fibers in your arm, they become older? And they're just molecularly different than they were when you were 24. That Jake Peavy, you look at that guy, you go, oh man, it's like, That guy is at the top of his game. Money in the bank. Yeah. Here's the deal with Trevor. I think Padre fans were starting to become a little wary, especially after the way the season ended last year with that one-game playoff with the Rockies and Trevor blowing the lead in that. That really kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth with Trevor. But it's a new year. I was like, okay, it's fine. He pitched the day before and looked great. He got a save.
And then it went out last night, and I don't know what the deal was. It makes me worry a little bit. I don't want every other game to wonder if Trevor has his good stuff or not. That's the thing, because he's always money in the bank. He's the greatest closer of all time. I'll say it. Early on in the season, when the season's just getting going, he's so fired up. It's a while before you see the guy have a loss, and he's going out there and doing his best. Well, I hope it improves. Me too. Hi, my name's Mike, and I'm 37 years of age, and I go by the name Mikey on the Air. And what can I tell you? I went to the doctor yesterday. Now, my normal doctor was not available, but he works in a building where there's a whole bunch of doctors that work as a group. And so I went to a new doctor, and I will continue to see her. Oh, look at you. She's a female, and I like women more than men. I find them easier to talk to, and I do not have the insecurities that I normally have with a man talking to a woman. I feel like we relate to each other better. Men expect a certain thing, and I don't necessarily always have that thing. I'm just normal. I try to be very genuine.
I went in yesterday and I saw her and I noticed that I do something when I go to doctors or when I go to any sort of specialist for any given thing, not just doctors, but let's say we were meeting with an attorney or let's say we're meeting with anybody that, let's say we're in the Home Depot and we're talking to the guy and asking the guy for help. I noticed that I do this thing where I begin to interview them. Nice. And I noticed it yesterday. After a little while, I realized I'm interviewing this person. I just automatically go into it. And it's nothing that I make a conscious effort to do. I just begin an interview. Subconscious. It's a very subconscious thing. Okay. So I said to the doctor yesterday, how long does that medical school take? She says, oh, you do four years and then you do your residency. And I said, now, concerning that residency, what does that actually mean?
Because I've heard the term many times, but what is residency? We've all seen scrubs. What does it actually mean? Is it an intern? Well, it's much like an intern. And I said, now the bulk of your schooling, is this about biology? Just cough and say, ah. That's right. I'm waiting in the next room. I know it. I know. I know. But I just, that's what I do. I did that to the doctor before. But before her, I did it with a doctor before. That's funny. So, anyway, did I say my age? I'm 37. Just want to give people a visual idea of what you're working with here. Let's see. There's seven people on the Mikey Show, so I'm going to introduce everybody to you. Eddie is our sports guy, our producer. He's 34 years old, but only for five more days, and then he'll be 35. And there's a rumor going on out there about Eddie right now. What?
I don't know if this rumor is true. So I want to address it and get it out of the way. But one of the things that was circulating in the halls yesterday was that Eddie has been roped into fantasy baseball. Something I've never known him to 20 years I've known this guy. Rumor is true, Mike. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. This is bad. Let me tell you guys, this is bad. Oh man, Eddie. What? I've never wanted to play fantasy baseball for a couple of reasons. Number one, fantasy football ruins my life. Like, it ruins my life. It consumes your life. It consumes my life, and it ruins my life. Like, I don't enjoy it, but yet I have to play it. Yeah. And I love it and hate it at the same time. Yeah.
The second reason I don't play fantasy baseball is because I don't follow baseball like I do football. I love football, and I follow it, and I think I know everything there is to know about football. With baseball, there's a game every single day. I don't follow it like I do football. I watch baseball, and I follow it, but it's not all-consuming me. I'm not a stats guy in baseball. It's different. It's a whole different beast. I thought it would be difficult for me to play fantasy baseball because you've really got to get into it. To be good at it. And my buddy B-Dub, who we all know, he has been bugging me for months to join his league that actually Boston Rob is in. Oh, really? Yeah, Boston Rob played last year, and he really enjoyed it, and he joined again. But Rob didn't care if I played or not. So B-Dub has been bugging me for months. Dude, you've got to join, you've got to join, you've got to join. I keep telling him, no, I don't want to join. Rob, why don't you encourage your friend Eddie to get into the... Yeah, why do you hate Eddie? Yeah, why do you hate Eddie so much? Because he knows I'll beat him. It's like a brother to you. Dude, I'm stoked that you're in the league. Very happy. Anyway. Okay. So I finally relented, and I said, okay, fine, I'll join. Yeah. And they had an automatic draft, which, in other words, I don't pick my own players. They have the computer pick your team for you, and...
You know, it's a lot easier than having to study for drafts. So you're okay with that? I'm totally fine with it because that would have been a whole other mess. And I didn't even look at my team for the first two days of the baseball season. I didn't even care. So yesterday I said, well, I should probably look at my team and see what the deal is. Look at it. My team's a mess. Like, I don't even have a first baseman. I don't know what happened. Like, half of my team is on the disabled list. I freaked out. So I do all these moves, and now I'm into it. Oh, wow. And I'm going to check it every single day. You know it's only going to get worse. Dude, it's going to consume me. It's going to consume me. And this isn't like a 16-week football season. This is going to happen for months. Oh, man. It's bad, guys. It's bad. I went home, and I was looking up stats. Oh, dude. It's begun. Bad. It's begun. It's bad. Life is over as we are. Oh, no. Skye's our news girl. She's 30 years old. Hi. What did you have for dinner last night? Oh, I actually cooked. No. Which is rare in our home. Look at you. And I treated my husband to a gourmet dinner. What was it? Chopped up hot dogs mixed in with some Scooby-Doo mac and cheese. Nice. That's the best.
Scooby-Doo mac and cheese. I don't want Gordon Ramsay to try that. Yeah, but I do have some complaints about the Scooby-Doo mac and cheese. What? Normally, I just do the regular. I don't do the shapes. And I find with the shapes, they don't cook as evenly as, you know, because all the shapes are like different sizes, you know, so they don't cook evenly. It doesn't hold on to the cheese as well either. Thank you, yeah. Oh, I disagree. It's kind of a disappointment. It sounds good. Do you take the hot dogs and just cut them up? throw them into the mac and cheese or do you saute the hot dogs to cook them this oh oh okay okay i thought you were asking something else no you cook them first and then you throw them now what did you think i was asking oh was this something i thought no no no i thought that you were asking do i cook the hot dogs first and then cut them up or do i cut them up and then cook them well that well i wouldn't imagine that you would uh yeah Which one would you not imagine? I would not cook them whole and then cut them up. I wouldn't because then you wouldn't be browning all the little sides. But wait, are you boiling them or are you actually cooking them? I'm actually like cooking them in a pan with a little bit of butter. Nice. Excuse me. Delish. Yeah, well, no, because the boo got out of the shower when I was like halfway through cooking and he came down and normally I cook them whole.
And then cut them up and put them in. But he saw Natalie on Big Brother cut them up first and put them in the pan. So we had to try it that way. I've done things like that. Because he saw Natalie on Big Brother after dark cooking a hot dog. I wish I could think of an example. But I know I've seen reality TV shows and seen people cook something and do it that way. We used to get really hungry. Last season on Big Brother, when Dick would cook at night. Oh, yeah. He would always make something really late, like after 9, 10 o'clock. Spaghetti and stuff. Yeah. And it would totally make us hungry. That's the right thing to do, Sky. To cut them up first. Well, yeah, see. I didn't really taste the difference. Of course you do. You've got more caramelizing going on. Oh! You have more caramelized. That's a hot dog. Well, yes. If you don't cut it up, the whole inside of the hot dog has not been caramelized. I didn't consider the caramelization factor. Thank you. More per square inch has been caramelized. You know what would be nice is if you did that, then maybe you took some fresh thyme and you chopped that up with some onions.
and you caramelize the onions, and you throw all that into the macaroni and cheese with the hot dogs. That sounds nice. Put that recipe online, Sky. Don't you like to put ketchup and mustard in your macaroni and cheese? Not mustard, not mustard. Just ketchup. That would be ridiculous. That's delicious. I said that to somebody the other day. Really grossed them out. That'd be good with the hot dogs, though, right? Yeah. Real good. Shawnee, oh boy, is 38. Dude, what is going on with him? Yeah, please talk about the shirt. He's wearing a t-shirt, like a t-shirt t-shirt. Like a t-shirt, like Eddie's wearing a t-shirt. Well, he's wearing a t-shirt over his undershirt. It's like a graphic. But it has like a graphic on it. No, it does not. Yes, it does. Yes, it does. In the time I've known Sean, I've never seen him wear a graphic. Sean, what is it? Come on. Oh, now he's got to look like, yeah, dude. Let's see it. Let me see, Sean. What do you got? Come on. You ready for it? Yep, I'm ready. First of all, it's gray, and Sean is now...
Going to show us what he's got going on. Oh, my goodness. What up? Whoa. Sean's wearing a cool Superman t-shirt. Check that out. What the hell? Yeah, bro. Who are you? That's awesome. I so don't know that guy. Yeah. I have the most confused look on my face. I saw it, and I had to have it. You look good, Sean. Wow. Thank you. You look good. Never. Ashley. No. Never seen him wear that. No. Is there a crack pipe in that room right now? Where's our friend? Where is Shawnee? Wow, Sean, that's cool. I mean, I don't think ever once in all the years I've known him have I seen him wear a t-shirt with a print on it. If it's a t-shirt, it's going to be a solid color t-shirt. Otherwise, it's going to be a button-up with like woody cars on it.
He'll wear a solid T-shirt that'll be like orange or yellow. No, I like it. Oh, now he's showing us the guns and then he's moving his chair around. And he's pretending to fly. So it looks like he's flying. There you go. What is that guy? Ashley is our assistant producer. She's very young. She's only 24. And a half. 24 and a half. She wants to make sure that you know that she's 24 and a half. And she's got blonde hair. She's a very sweet girl. She's putting on some lip gloss right now with her finger. That's my juicy tube. She takes the juicy tube, she squeezes a little bit on the index finger, and then she rubs it on her lips. So it's dispersed evenly. I just want to let people know, I've heard that once you start with the lip gloss, you can't stop. It's addicting, Mike. It's addicting, so it's chapstick. I don't know if you guys know this. You put chapstick, fine, you can try it. Don't start, though. You can't stop. It's almost like it pulls some moisture out of your lips, so when you don't have it, it's like you're in the desert. It's like crack cocaine. My wife gets really anxious.
uncomfortable, and I'll say it, a little freaked out when she can't find her chapstick. Did you see my chapstick? Do you know where my chapstick is? Yeah, I do too. I don't know, honey. But it was right here. Can you help me look for my chapstick? She's like Napoleon Dynamite. A Boston Rob. Yeah. He's 25, he's engaged to be married, and there it is, the big ear-to-ear smile whenever you announce him. And then he gives you the eyebrows up and down. How you doing, Rob? I'm doing well. Anything new? How's your socks doing? They're doing real well. Did you watch the game last night? Yeah, I passed. Well, it was during the day, and I passed out at the end of it. Missed all the action. I always think of you as extraordinarily poor. So do you go to a bar to watch these Red Sox games, or do you actually watch? No, that's dangerous for me. I stay at home. I got the package. You got the package. You got the satellite, right? Mm-mm. Time Warner. Time Warner. So you watch on the Time Warner cable and you get all the different MLB games. Oh, yeah. There you go. There you go. It's nice. And then finally, Zethian Oates. Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third, Esquire. Junior. Junior. Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, Junior, Esquire, the third. Wow. Rosie Squire. That's right. What is it? Rosie Squire. Rosie Squire. Rosie.
So, Zeth is 23 years of age, and he's got a girlfriend named Kelsey, which I remember now. And, Zeth, what can you tell us? What have you been up to? Nothing, basically. Do anything last night? Riveting. That was riveting. Dude, I'm so boring, and it's kind of embarrassing. Once I leave here, I just kind of veg out on the couch and hang out with my girlfriend. I know there was a lot. Sometimes he does that here. Yeah, that's true. Sometimes he vetches out on the couch here. Yeah. Just depends on when you got him. Productive. Well, very nice, Zethia Notes. Sorry. It's 23. You can call us if you want. 570-1053 is the phone number, and you can call about anything. It's totally up to you. Jesse Ventura will be on the show today. Oh, the body. Oh, yeah. Jesse the body Ventura. Awesome. He used to be the governor of Minnesota, and he's independent. He's not Republican. He's not Democrat. He's like his own thing. He kind of has things of both. A WWE Hall of Famer, Mike. Is he? Yeah. He was real good back in the day, right? You know, he wasn't the greatest wrestler ever, but he was a great personality and he was a really great broadcaster. Yeah. So they inducted him into their Hall of Famer. Same exact things have been said. Same words have been said about Boy Blunder, which is really the exact same words. Not much of a wrestler, but he was an amazing personality.
Wonderful voice. Yes, it's a tribute to him, really. Mikey Show. I wanted to make a comment about your macaroni and cheese. The best thing in the world is A1 sauce. Like it. Never thought of it. It's really good. I'm able to see you like you're disgusting, but it's pretty awesome. Yeah, because you are. Sky, you got to try it. Well, no, you don't put any condiments on mac and cheese. It's just a sauce. a condiment and go on anything. But it already has a sauce on it. Sky, you don't need to yell at her. It's like putting marinara on like fettuccine Alfredo. Like, what are you doing? Not bad, Sky. Sky's got some good ideas today. You're a chef. Thank you for the idea. I appreciate it. P1 Brandon is anxiously waiting on hold to talk to the Mikey show. Brandon, where are you driving right now?
Uh, hello? Yes. Yes. Where are you, Brandon? Where on the freeways here in San Diego County are you? Exactly. I'm on the 94 going east, getting off work. There you go. Getting off work? Yeah, night shift. What do you do? Work for Cisco Foods. I used to have that job many years ago, the overnight shift. Oh. Yeah. I even had it at this radio station for a real short amount of time. And at the time, Dave Shelley and Chainsaw were the morning show, and I used to prepare Dave. To come in in the morning. What? Yeah, it was my job. I used to get some things prepared. Oh, you were the board op? Yeah. Well, no, I was actually, I was on the air. I was live on the air in the overnight. You were the overnight guy. No way. I was the overnight DJ. In radio. The previous shift would have to get the hour ready for the next DJ. Oh, right, right, right. With our carts and CDs. Yes. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, I would prepare his commercials. The commercials were not in a computer system like today. No, no. So I would have to prepare his commercials for him. And he was really nice, man. Dave would come in. He was a real nice person. And get his music, you know, and all that stuff. And then I would go home and I would feel just so tired.
Yeah. So tired. How do you do it? What time do you go to bed? Well, when it's as busy as it is now, as soon as you get home. And then what time will you wake up today? It depends. Right now, I carpool with a buddy of mine, so it just depends on when I've got to pick him up, so usually around 3. How old are you? 28. Are you married? Yes. Do you have any kids? Not yet. Does your wife work overnight? No, she works during the day. It's a strain on the relationship. When do you get to see her? This week, it's been every other day. Oh, wow. Now, do you have any ambition or goals to be doing something in the day? For the most part, there's quite often where you do have other things that you've got to...
take care of that keeps you from sleeping so that's also no that's not what i asked you bro that's not what i asked you this is a i've been listening to dr laura she does that sometimes if she asks a question she'll go why have you not let go of your resentment for your father and the person will go well see i think he's an all right guy i just no no my question was do you have any ambition or goals to be working during the day Yeah, eventually. My situation is planned to be permanent. All right. There you go. It's not easy. It's not easy. It's really interesting. I like to ask a lot of questions. I interview everybody. What were you actually calling about? I had called and I wanted to ask Eddie, was there any new Charger news?
Eddie, do you know anything about, like, is there any, like, draft stuff with them or any of that? Not really. They did re-sign Marcus Harris and Cletus Gordon to one-year contracts, so they'll be back on the team next year. Other than that, nothing really going on. That's about it, Brandon. Thank you. Thank you, man. P1 Clancy has been waiting. Clancy, are you there? I am here. How are you doing? Good, man. What's up? I just want to know if you're going to ask Jesse about his Navy SEAL days. Eddie, I'm sure Eddie knew that. Yeah, I have one of the questions I want to know is I think he's against the Iraq war, which is interesting being that he is a former Navy SEAL. Huh. How about that? I don't know. Maybe you can ask him about some of the missions he went on. I don't think he'll talk about it, but we can try. Yeah, yeah. I'll ask. Yeah, for sure. I'll throw it out there and see what he says. Thank you. P1PI is on the line. Good morning, Mikey. What's going on, dude? Hey, just wanted to know if we maybe get a visit from Ramsey since he doesn't come around as much as he did anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sure he'll... Well, first of all, Sky, why have you not been bringing Ramsey around as much? What's up with you, Sky? Well, the reason is... I don't know anyone. The reason... I'm going to be extraordinarily honest with you about this. Oh, good.
Ramsey is being punished, and I know one of the things that he loves is airtime. So a very good motivational thing for him is I say, Ramsey, if you do well with your studies, you can come on the air. For what? Well, right now, American history, if you must know. As you know, I tutor Ramsey. You do? Yes, I do. Didn't know that. That's weird. Ramsey. Oh, no. Remember we discussed you crying out for help? I said don't do it. Don't say he. That's phony. You know you're not in pain. No, he's not. You can't tell me how to scream in pain. I barely made contact. Now, that one should have hurt. It did. Now, let me see your tender white skin. Let me take off my eyes. There you go. Very well done. Fold it.
That's very nice, Ramsey. Perfect job. Put it on the bureau. Do we have a bureau here in the studio? Yes, we do. Okay. Now turn about. And there you go. I hope that's sufficient, sir. Oh, weird. Are you even there, P.I.? Oh, no. Oh, no. You incorrigible bastard. We got to take a quick timeout. It's going to be very fast. First, though, P1 Kitty McMue is on the line. Are you there, Kitty McMue? Yes, sir. How you doing, Mike? Good, man. Love you guys. Hey, listen, I want to see if maybe Sky could come over to my yard and pick up my doggy doo. Well, you know, she is a big supporter of helping the neighbors. We discussed this just the other day.
And that's not a big job. I mean, I would say that could probably be done for a couple of bucks if you team up with the other neighbors. I mean... Maybe I can get my neighbors to throw in a couple of bucks for about four, four and a half dollars. I'll say it again. I support Skye on this one. I think she was doing something nice for the neighbors. Illegal. Too bad they didn't ask for the help. Oh, whatever. They got the help. Yep, I'm a helper. You got a restraining order. Text us right now. 35253. Jesse Ventura. Jesse the Body Ventura on the air today. We're also doing something called Tough Love with Eddie. Me and the Body. With blue envelope protection and Mossy pricing, you'll get a great deal on the most reliable vehicle. Call 1-800-ASK-MOSSY-NOW for the location nearest you. My sleep train mattress centers. Overall, not a bad ride right now. We had an earlier overturn accident that was blocking both sides of San Vicente Road here, just east of Wildcat Canyon Road, and that was causing some problems getting in and out of the San Diego Country Estates. Good news, though, it's been cleared now. All lanes are open, so that's giving you access in and out of the Ramona area there. We've got South Ponce out of the 15, a little bit tough down off the 78 down through West Condito, down the Via Rancho Parkway. And then a few more slow spots into Rancho Bernardo, Cameron Mountain Ranch. This coaster ride, South Ponce out of the 5, getting a little bit heavier as well. Slow out of Encinitas down into Solana Beach. East County into the city looking great, man. 894, 52, all looking good westbound. And the 5185 North out of the South Bay are also up to speed. The 805 is just a minor delay into North Park. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.
Mikey Morning Show continues. Featuring Mikey. If it involves danger, I try to avoid it. Eddie. I'm a simple man. Respect me. Sean. I invite everyone with just a little bit of enthusiasm. Boston Rob. I hate the Yankees. You know this. And Mikey shows on 5-3. And a human being. Blood rushing through their veins. Not light notes. I mean, they're so good. There are certain truths in the world. Huey Lewis in the news is one, and so is the two. I think you know what it is. A white guy with genuine rhythm is a good thing. It's undeniable. Back, it is 641. Nickelback singer Chad Kroger was convicted yesterday of a DUI in Canada. Well, USD's head coach Bill Greer is a popular guy. Now, Cal is interested in him. We're getting some text messages. 35253 is the text number. No, no.
Mikey, soy sauce on mac and cheese is the best ever. A1 sounds disgusting. That's P1 Corey. Even I have a line. I think soy sauce may be the line. You don't want to agent it up a little bit? No. Put some wasabi on it. Well, listen, mac and cheese is distinctly American. Yeah. It's like our Vegemite. You can't get more American. Oh, yeah, man. I think that other countries think that mac and cheese... You know, other countries think that... When my parents lived in, they lived in like Scotland. And when they lived there, the people in Europe thought it was so filthy, disgusting that my parents ate corn. Because that's what you feed livestock in Europe. Really? Yeah, they don't eat corn. Then they think it's so gross. You know, like when we go to Australia, they're eating that Vegemite, which I heard is like a turd. It's supposed to be horrible. It tastes like gas. I've never had it. Is it really? Yeah, it tastes like gasoline. So when you eat it, it does that thing to your sinuses? Yeah, it's gross. I have people in Africa think cheese is disgusting. Really? Well, yeah, because if you really think about what cheese is, it's kind of gross. It is. Some more than others. I mean, blue cheese is a little funkier. Can you imagine? Can you tell some dude in Africa that you're going to let cheese go bad and then eat it? You take milk, and from watching Elton Brown, I learned how they made the first cheese.
What they used to do is, is that when they would take these long trips through the desert on the back of camels, they'd stick milk in animal skins that had been made into a canteen. And the animal skin was generally like a stomach or something that had been tanned. They'd tanned it and it had turned into a pouch. So they'd fill it with milk and they'd go across the desert, right? Sean, you got some music for me for this? You got some kind of weird? Give me some sort of, I need some sort of Middle Eastern flair here. as I paint this picture. So as they would travel across the desert, they would have these skins made of skin, and it would be filled with milk. Well, on one extraordinarily long and hot summer hike, the milk curdled. And when the guy poured it into his mouth, he was immediately disgusted. But then he realized, wait a second, I think I may be onto something here. I'm going to add salt to it. And thus, cheese was born. Wow.
It's filthy. Get out. It's filthy. I did not know that. Well, we do it kind of the same way even today. Oh, dude, salt with milk is great. Hey, Mikey, P1 Giants fan here. It's my birthday today, and there's no better way to start off. You guys rock. That's right. Let's see. Some of the things happening in and around San Diego. By the way, Tough Love with Eddie is coming up within moments. Yeah. I know that this is a practical joke on your part that I just have. It's this headline about Chris Henry. This is something that you... I knew you would enjoy that. That you wanted to be on this sheet of paper from two days ago on April Fool's. No, no, no. It's real. Because it can't be possible that the Bengals' Chris Henry is in trouble with the police again. That can't be possible. I realize why you were saying that, being that he's been in trouble with the law a lot. and has been suspended by the league before. In fact, last year suspended eight games because of his conduct. So I can understand why you would think that. All right, well, what I don't have is what he did. All I see here is that Chris Henry of the Bengals is in trouble again. What did he do? Nothing that serious this time. He basically punched an 18-year-old in the face and broke his car window. Okay. All right. Well, he should be fine. See you tomorrow. Are you kidding? Yeah.
Dude. What's the big deal? Legal is the big deal. Whoa. Assault people. Dude, you know, everybody knows this Roger Goodell. He's not messing around. No. He is not messing around. So my guess is he's probably going to get in a lot of trouble. Well, if he was already suspended for eight games because of his conduct, I can't imagine what's next. I guess the year. You guys got to realize, too. This is the third best wide receiver on the football team. He's not like their main guy. He's been in trouble how many times? He's not even the main dude. He's not even like Rob, my main dude. And you know what I don't understand about these professional athletes who are out of control and throwing their lives away? When a rock star does it, normally a rock star is having an addiction problem, is strung out on something, and is acting crazy because they're strung out. Well, these athletes, they're tested for drugs. Yeah. So the only reason can just be crazy testosterone, crazy people. It's true. And they're going to throw away a future with millions and millions of dollars because they want to punch somebody in the face. I never even thought about it that way. I can't wrap my head around their motivation. Do you think it's because they think they're untouchable? Yeah.
Well, I think one of the things that comes to mind with Chris Henry is he's been in trouble this many times, he's still in the league. I'm starting to think that Chris Henry probably has some mental disorder. I mean, you get in trouble that much. You're addicted to it? Yeah, pretty much. You really like getting in trouble. Trouble rehab. Yes. So there's that. And then Chad Johnson is communicating with the team, same team, is communicating with the team through what, interviews? What is that? He did an interview yesterday on ESPN. Yeah. And it was crazy. Chad, basically, he wants to get traded. He doesn't want to be on the Bengals anymore. Him and the head coach, Marvin Lewis, are kind of fighting. And it was a bizarre interview. So I know Sean has it. I don't know if you want to hear it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's that cut, Sean. Okay. Problem right there. That's the problem. I'm always worried about making people want to like me. me the player player is not going to change but chad has to do what's right for chad whether they like the light or not it doesn't matter that's the problem i have to do what's right for me that's what i've always been that's why he made the comment the people that had a section he thinks i'm worried about people liking me those days are over all right i'm not worried about them anymore because i have to do what's right for me getting myself out of losing situations if that's what i have to do then i have to do it
Listen, I think all it's going to take for Chad Johnson is the right coach. Chad has a need. Yes. Chad has a need. Very much. And you can get him to play at the top of his ability probably if you just feed the need. Whatever it is. Whatever his need is. Yeah, it's that or whatever. Somebody needs to tell him how much they love him. All the time. He needs it all the time. There's more to the interview, too. I think I have the end of the interview. The end of the interview is the weirdest part where it's very awkward, very uncomfortable. Please, please play. Let me hear it. Embarrass everybody that tries to cover me. Well, then we look forward to you in the first camp. That's it? That's it. Go ahead. What else would you like to say, Chad? I don't know. You have an open forum. Go ahead. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Pause. Just your situation, so you're good. You see what I mean? Somebody just needs to love him a lot. There's something up with Chad Johnson. I've always thought this. I think Chad Johnson is different than the troublemakers in the league. Like, there's some troublemakers. Chad Johnson, because, listen, people that enjoy football, there's usually the people that are...
Either for or against him. I like him. I've always liked him. I've always felt like his little dances in the end zone are meant in the spirit of fun. My dad hates it because he's old school. Doesn't want to see these guys doing any dances in the end zone. Be classy like Jerry Rice and hand the football or LT, hand the football back to the referee. I like that too. I think that that's admirable. I like him. But when Chad Johnson does it in the spirit of fun and having a good time, I love it. always thought about Chad. I go, man, somebody's got to love that guy. He's really needing it. He's saying to the interviewer, will you talk to me some more? Come on, let's keep going. Please? I'm enjoying this. When he presents it, he presents it in a masculine way. Like, what? That's it? But what's really going on is 10-year-old Chad going, will you talk to me some more? Unpause. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Yeah, just your situation. So you're good. You're showing up even if they make no changes the way you'd like to see them make them. What if they tell you, Chad, hey, Chad, don't criticize the organization? What do you do then? What do I do? Yeah. I don't do anything. I go out there and play football. So then you will stay quiet if they say, hey, keep quiet from now on. No. No. I will never change. I will never change. Ever. Okay. Chad, thank you for your time. That's it? What else do you want to talk about?
Anything. Is there something I'm missing, Chad? Tell me. Go ahead, open forum. Ask me questions. Nothing. I mean, I don't know. We got to do better. That's it. Period. We got to do better. As a whole. As a whole. And if we don't, we're fooling ourselves. Thank you, Chad. The interviewer's great, by the way. The interviewer is fantastic. I mean, that is an example of an interviewer knowing what he's up to and what he's doing. That's really good. And on the surface, Chad sounds insane. I get it. No doubt about it. Absolutely. He sounds crazy. But boy, do I hear a guy that's just like, will somebody, will everybody please pay attention to me? You know, and who knows what it's about? I don't know what it's about. It's very T.O. like. Yeah. You know, T.O.'s never done anything illegal. He's just, he's a guy who has to have the spotlight. He has to have attention.
Chad's very similar, just in a little different way. But, yeah, that was Brian Kenney on ESPN yesterday interviewing him, and it was one of the most awkward things I've ever seen in my life. Wow. Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Yeah, use both. No, no, no, Chad. Sorry, Chad's still in line. Chad, I would be willing to ask you anything, but we've got to move on. Our text number is 35253. So we will talk. Chad, I can't stay here forever. We've got to go to break, Chad. Thank you so much. Now, Chad, I can't stay forever. It's Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. Starting to think about spring cleaning? Well, put up your feet and get up off the sofa, because Uncle Cal is revving up his vacuum with savings.

But without any further ado, ladies and gentlemen, we do something here on the show that we like to call... It's almost like a public service announcement. What do you mean opposite? We need a public service announcement. You don't get it, lady. I think I'm the only one who does get it. See, the reason Skye says that is because... Oh! And I understand where she's coming from. Thank you, Mike. Sometimes hearing the real tough stuff is hard to do. It's hard to hear. Somebody's got to do it. Skye, what you've got to keep in mind is that Ashley's right. Somebody's got to do it. No, no one has to do it. It's about hearing the truth. It's not about placating somebody. I can be kind while you...
Well, let's see if Eddie can do that. Let's start with our first letter. Our first letter reads, Dear Eddie, I've heard a couple of callers call in about co-workers who smell bad in the past couple of weeks. Well, I'm that guy. I've been told by a co-worker recently that I stink. I had no idea. I'm not sure if I'm just used to my own smell or if I have a smell issue. Either way, I was humiliated. Is there anything I can do to... Prevent this from happening again. Thanks for the advice. Oracle signed P1 Big Rich in La Costa. That's going to be nice, Mike. That's right. Dare the Shaw stank prevention. Yeah, dude. There is something you can do to prevent this from happening again. Take a freaking shower. That's crazy. I don't know.
You know, I always wanted to know what happened to Pigpen from the Peanuts gang after he grew up. He's in Lacoste. Now, how do you not know that you stink that bad? I mean, you're telling me that you've become immune to your own BO. You know, actually, now that I think about it, this may come in handy. You know, the fact that it doesn't affect you may work to our country's advantage. We should send you into those caves in Afghanistan. and stink out Osama bin Laden. Nice. Not a bad idea. Now, think about it. Now, if you smell worse than a terrorist living in the cave for two years, we could really utilize you. Bottom line, bro, here's what you want to do. Invest in this new invention. Maybe you haven't heard about it. It's something, I think it just hit the market. It's called deodorant. Yeah. It's crazy. I don't know. That may help you from smelling. Effective. Yes. So, there you go, Matthew McConaughey. Genius, Eddie. Thank you. That's really good. That's much. Our next letter reads... Nice. Dear Eddie. Yes. I met this really awesome girl about two months ago. We totally hit it off and have been hanging out nonstop. She's very traditional. And thankfully, so am I. Up until last night, we'd done nothing more than hold hands. Well, I finally made my move, and oh boy, to be totally honest.
Her breath smelled like she'd just thrown up. Now, I know that sounds insane. Kinda. But it's true. Now, I don't know if she wasn't feeling well earlier in the evening. But still, really wanted to see me. But wow, I'm speechless. Do I ask her about it or what? I'm so confused right now because I really like her. Please help me, Oracle, sign P1 Martin from Fletcher Hills. Eddie? Dear Leave It to Heaver. Oh, wow. Or maybe Barf Tholomew. There's several. I don't know which one to go with. Get up there and get it. All right, we've got a couple of things going on here. We could have a Nicole Richie I Gotta Be As Hot As That Hope Harris complex. Oh, wow.
Or we could have a Sean holding Skye's hair back as she spews into the gutter. That type of a thing going on. I don't know if you guys remember that. It was that one time. Yeah, it was very dangerous. And some hair holding. Or she could just really, really like the taste. I don't know, you guys. I'm not there. I don't know this woman. I don't know her. Now, in any of these cases, there seems to be one huge silver lining. Low self-esteem. Okay, now let me explain. It means basically that you're running that relationship. Now, you get to call the shots. Now, accept the shots from her mouth into the toilet. And this is not a bad thing, bro. Just ask Skye's husband. There's nothing harder to control than a woman who knows her worth. Now... Wait a second. That is... A very harsh comment. I've been attacked twice. They're also afraid to cheat on you, which is very nice. What? My really only piece of advice here is simple. Just always, always, always make out before eating. And you should be good. You should be good to go. That got weird. Something that tasted, no, smelled weird. Bunky, yeah. Like her own puke. No, Eddie, I'm not saying she ate her. A diaper.
Stop it. Good call, Mike. A foot? I'm sure it was a one-time thing. A dead raccoon. There you go. Move on. Our last letter reads, Dear Eddie. And by the way, I just want to let people know, as I read this email, we had to edit this email. Yeah. Oh. Because it originally had about three more pages than the book roots. Very long. Very long. Wordy. If you write Eddie for Tough Love with Eddie, just do us a favor. Like a couple of sentences, and I can fill in the blanks. That's better. Dear Eddie. Yes. I heard you say one time that you get upset with your wife because she talks in her sleep, and that sometimes it actually startles you out of bed. Oh, yeah, that does happen. When you said that, I could understand. It's scary and disorienting, so I could understand your discomfort. Sure.
But my husband and I got married one month after you and your wife, so I wanted to get your feelings about what he did to me recently. Okay. Last week, I was homesick with a terrible flu. There's a theme going on here today, guys. I just want to let you know. Picking up on that. Sick people. Says, I was so ill that I would have to vomit during the night. Okay. Now, hang on. Hang on as you're listening. Hang on, folks. I know that there's a lot of adults listening, so I want to remind you that this is just today. Listen. This is a little ridiculous. It's not help. Says, I'm sorry to be so graphic, but it is part of my story, unfortunately. Whenever I would get sick, my husband would actually get up out of bed and leave the room and go sleep on the couch. I felt that was so terribly insensitive. I just wanted to see what you think. P1, Alicia. I should probably be more sensitive than her husband, right, Mike? Thank you. Definitely. Daddy? Dear, wake me up before you blow blow. That's really sensitive. I don't know if that's sensitive. I don't know if that's funny, but it's... Blow blow. Do the jitter barf. Wow. Okay, yeah. That's disgusting. So basically, you're comparing what my wife did to me.
Which could have killed me, by the way. To you turning into Splash Mountain. It could have killed me, Ashley. That's right. What my wife had done. What if I had a lightsaber in my hand? We both could have been killed. That's not so funny now, is it? Exactly. Anyway, back to Kitty McPuke. Alicia. You're gross, okay? Listen, listen, please, let me get through this. I mean, you can't expect a man to have to deal with that. I mean, remember when you got married and said through sickness and in health? Remember that whole thing, right? That is right. That didn't mean you can go around puking in bed, okay? Thank you! That line is about us being cool about your period and stuff like that. Oh my gosh, you're out of line. Pansy stuff dudes don't do, okay? Yeah, great.
Here, here, here. Okay, my take is this. First of all, keep it to 50 words or less next time. And don't roll out the La Jolla Marriott next time for the hubby. Wow. Great rates during flu season. Check into that. Oh, Skye. That was the worst advice ever. I don't think that was very natural. Skye, can you hear it coming up SeaWorld Drive? No, never mind. Sound of healing. Saved $650 for the year. 3D-wise, totally saved me money. Dope. I saved $1,600 when I switched it. Well, you're better off than me. Yeah, no, no, no. I'm just saying, if you're driving right now and you're listening, and you're hearing Travajo's story, and you're hearing my story, you got to... Call AIS. 1-800-777-4-AIS because they save you money. That's all I'm telling you. And Travaho, I did not ask him to call. He hears me talk about AIS. He heard it. He called in. Yeah, it was rad because I actually called the day before and renewed my coverage. Yeah. And it was almost $1,100 for six months and called AIS the next day. It wasn't even 24 hours after I renewed it.
And it was $1,400 for the year instead of almost $1,100 for six months. Travaho, congratulations and thank you for calling. I appreciate it, Mikey. All right, man. 1-800-777-4AIS. You've got a few more break nights in some spots in the county here this morning. Heading south on the 15. You've pretty much still in the usual place here. Coming off the 78 off and on to Via Rancho Parkway. And some bunch of stuff again through the construction area and through Carmel Mountain Ranch. This coaster rides south on the 5. A few break nights out of Lucadia now into Solana Beach. Westbound 52 coming out of Santee. You've got some slow traffic. Stalled out Ford Ranger pretty much right at the 15 on the westbound 52. So watch for a bit of a slowdown around that guy. Coming up on the South Bay, 5.85 northbound. Minor delays here through National City. Nothing too serious at all. 8.05, a little bit slow through North Park, but not too bad either here. The westbound 8.94, they're pretty much good to go all the way into the city. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. I had a little hiccup yesterday with the Padres, Trevor Hoffman. Not so good.
But we're going to shake it off because it's got a nice little day game. See, I think that's actually good. When you have a bad performance the night before, you want to get back out on the field and erase that memory. And so the Padres could take three of four from the Astros today, and it's an afternoon game, which are always fun, and starts at 1235. Take your kid, take your wife, take your boss, because it's two-for-one days. Two-for-one tickets in the Field Reserve, Toyota Terrace Reserve, Upper Infield Reserve, and Upper Reserve tickets, all two-for-one and two-for-one hot dogs. So I have a couple. Cut them up, put them in macaroni and cheese. Delicious. And then Dodgers coming to town after that. Tomorrow it is military opening night, which is really cool because the Padre players are going to be saluting the armed forces wearing their desert camouflage jerseys, which is really cool. And then stay after the game because they've got family fireworks going on too.
Great games against the Dodgers all weekend. Padre Flags given out on Saturday. Floppy hats for the kids on Sunday. Big weekend series against the Dodgers. So what you want to do, if you need tickets, you can call them, 877-FRIER-TIX, or go to the website, Padres.com, and get your tickets today. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. It is not until you get to know me that you realize I'm completely self-absorbed. Eddie. I like my sandwich. I like my sandwich. Okay. Sky. Thank you. Don't doubt the girl. Sean. I'm the token Boston guy on the shelf. That's right. Every show should happen. And Ashley. You make a compelling argument. I'm a compelling person. On Rock 1053. It's a Mikey Show. Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. So you call us whenever you want.
What is this, Rob? Bare Naked Ladies? Wow. I'm switching it up, man. Can't be all my favorites. Nobody's favorites. Yeah, I figure you gotta throw nobody's favorites in there every once in a while. Somebody out there is enjoying this and for that person, you're welcome. Rob secretly likes Bare Naked Ladies. Who knew? It's nothing to be ashamed of, Rob. We won't make fun of you on this show. Dude, don't put your music taste on me. You know that I don't pick this music. No, you don't pick it, but I can't put all my favorites. You yelled at me for the Almond Brothers yesterday. I didn't yell at you. Why were you screaming at me? I wasn't screaming. I said I didn't. You didn't scream at me. I never heard the song Malissa before. You were a dragon. I think you're doing a great job, Rob. And I heard Jessica on the way home from boxing last night. Almonds is just a good band. Yeah, dude. I prefer cashews. Why don't you play Henrietta by Little Feet, Mike? It's real good. It's real good, all right? Get the limo. Jesse the Body Ventura will be on the show here momentarily. It is 7-21. NBC announced their new lineup yesterday, including an office spinoff and a weekday version of Saturday Night Live. The Hoffie not so good yesterday. Trevor Hoffman allowed four, two outruns in the ninth and lost to Houston 9-6.
Sky's cousin Laura is really into the bare naked ladies. And I remember saying to her at one time, I actually asked her when she told me that, I go, how does one get into the bare naked ladies? And she goes, well, first of all, they're B&L. You get into them because they're good. Duh. I was like, wow. Some people are really into the bare naked ladies. Yeah, Jesse the Body Ventura, ex-governor of Minnesota, WWE Hall of Famer. He's going to be calling in. About five minutes. Let's see. What's the deal? American Idol is taking phone calls now? Oh, dude, it's the worst. Is that true? Yeah, well, they got to fill an hour of time. They do an hour results show now. Lame. And so they got to fill time. And so they've come up with this genius idea of taking live phone calls. Cut one. Simon, why do you feel it necessary to apologize after giving a negative critique? Mary, I like you.
You're right. I'm crazy doing it. I will never, ever apologize again. Mike, can I tell you how upset that makes me? Yeah, please. My favorite part about American Idol is Simon Cowell and how he will just blast these singers, tear them apart, and then at the end, he always goes, sorry. And now he's never going to do it anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My wife says that her favorite thing, too, about Simon is is how he just says the most crushing things. Yeah. And he has the attitude of, gee, sorry. Sorry. He'll be like, you were absolutely the most atrocious, disgusting singer I've ever heard. And you have no career in this business ever. Actually, that's the best Simon Cowell impression I've ever heard. I love it. That had to be a clip. Huh?
Oh, my God. I don't know if this text message is coming from our friends Steve Woods and Mark Bauman, but it says, Mike, y'all are great. No. It starts like that. Yeah, dude. It says, yeah, dude. Y'all are great. I'm a new P1 and already recruiting for the Army, dude, all right? Yeah, they're really good, dude. Thanks for the great mornings, P1 Boats. Boats. Bauman's next one says hey Mikey how come you guys never ask if we can hear the sound of healing coming up El Camino Real or any other North County streets you know we're being healed too that's P1 Jen Jen I will make it a note like Simon Cowell did just like he said alright see it coming up San Marcos Boulevard Valley Parkway how you feel about me now
There you go. They're coming up Washington Street in Escondido. Next one says, here's a tip for Ashley's puppy or Ashley herself. Get papaya pills. It helps with gas. Oh, great. Thank you. Did not know that. Man, she had it bad yesterday. Oh, man. Oh, my gosh. Worst ever. What did you eat? Well, Ashley does his thing. She blames her gas on the dog. Yeah, totally. But she says she's not. She says she isn't. Totally. She's practically got IBS. Next one says, thank you, Rob. That Bare Naked Lady song is awesome. Haven't heard it in years. That's P1 Guinness. One person out there. There you go. Is it Bare Naked Ladies that sing that song? It's been one year since you love me. That is like my least favorite thing ever. Do I hate that? I just hate it. I don't know why people like that. Come on, Rob. Put that one up on the board for us. Put it on the board. I actually hung out with those guys. No, you did not. When I worked at Star 100, they performed at a jingle ball and I hung out with them backstage. What were they like, Eddie?
What was it like? We're all right, guys. That doesn't sound really... No, they were good. They were pretty normal, actually. It's been... That brings back so many goofy memories. And you know they must wait until the end of the show because everybody's waiting for one week, right? Well, Barenaked Ladies, their fans are very involved in the concerts. They have a song called... I think it's like one million or millionaire or something like that. Yeah. And at one point in the song, like people throw money up in the air. Oh, boy. What? Yeah, it's so weird. Real money? I don't know. I guess. You gotta go, Rob. Yeah. Do they ever throw gold bullion? No, it's not like that. Cougarans. Do they ever throw cougarans? What about doubloons? Of course you do. Yes, my guess is that they make everybody wait.
And they maybe even are like, goodnight, everybody. That's how they shout. Well, obviously. Hello, Skye. It's been. So they walk off the stage and then, you know, people are chanting. B-N-L. B-N-L. B-N-L. And then they come back and, oh, boy, I can't. Another BNL trivia fact? Yes. Huge fan, Jason Priestley. Oh, come on. In fact, he did a documentary about B&L that he directed. What? Wow. That's cool. He's into it. I don't doubt that. Jason Priestley. Sorry, what? Jason the Body Priestley. No. That's not who we're talking about. Jesse the Body Ventura will be on the show momentarily. And as you know, he is, well, first of all, you may not know this, but he's got a new book out. It's called Don't Start the Revolution Without Me.
He's in bookstores right now, and I think he's a really interesting guy. In fact, I'm going to ask him this to confirm it, but I think the reason that he was so popular with voters in Minnesota is because he was extraordinarily genuine. Yeah. He spoke from the heart. He's very un-politician-like. Love it. He's not real polished, you know? He just speaks. Well, he's Jesse the Body Ventura. That's right. You know what I really want to know from Jesse is how does one... get over that stigma how did he go from being i'll say it a goofball yeah what he did is his in his local community in minnesota he was very involved like he was the uh i think the high school football coach and he was really involved in his local politics and got involved locally And then that made, I think he ran for mayor of his town. And from that mayor, you know, he got a lot of press that Jesse the Body of Ventura was the mayor. And from becoming mayor of his local town, he became the governor. I know this will sound very ignorant, but does WrestleMania still happen? Is that something that's still... Last weekend. It's awesome. Really? Yeah. They still call it WrestleMania? Of course. It was WrestleMania 24, Mike. Oh, gosh. And they were headed at the Citrus Bowl.
In Orlando, it had something like 50,000 people there. It's crazy. There's been 24 of those things. Oh, my goodness. That's crazy! Do they do a couple of years or something? Only once a year. Oh, I'm very sorry. I am very, very, very... Once a year extravaganza, bro. Don't insult him. Come on. Is it the Super Bowl of wrestling? Yes. It is. No question about it. So, what does it take to be in it? What do you mean, what does it take to be in it? Dude, I don't... Let me ask you. Let me ask you a question. Is every wrestler in the WWE participating in WrestleMania? For the most part. So what makes it different? Because they have the biggest matches, the most anticipated matches. Got it. One of the big things that happened this year was... Ric Flair, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before, becoming the only active wrestler ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He still wrestles? He's in his 60s and had his final match against Shawn Michaels. And I got teary-eyed, I'm not going to lie. I don't believe that. I don't believe that that's true. Final match. The guy was pouring tears coming out of his eyes. Last match against Shawn Michaels. It was crazy. And he cried. Cried. Wow. On the line with us right now, we've got Jesse Ventura.
And do you prefer Jesse Ventura, sir, or would you prefer Jesse the Body Ventura? Actually, neither. I prefer Governor Jesse Ventura. Nice. I'm a big fan. I really am. I think that you're a revolutionary guy, and you got this book out, Don't Start the Revolution Without Me. It's in bookstores right now. And I was saying, before you came on the air, I think that one of the things that got the Minnesota voters so behind you is that you're extraordinarily genuine. Yeah. But, you know, that gets you in trouble from a few good men. You can't handle the truth. Yeah. And it's unfortunately that's the way we are today. Case in point, let me fire this one at you. The only person. Jose Canseco. Jose Canseco. Jose Canseco. What did the media do to him? Yeah. He was the only one telling them we're running rampant in baseball. We have Governor Jesse Ventura on the air with us right now. We played clips of you in a Larry King interview yesterday. And we were hearing that you live part-time in Baja. And it sounds like you are not a fan of Lou Dobbs. I'm Lou. I think that he's creating a... If you want to stop illegal immigration, you have to fight it on the demand side. It's like the war on drugs. That on the supply side, you'll never win it. You've got to fight it on the demand side. It's very true. Question, Mr. Ventura. Question. Well, if we are...
to do what you're suggesting and we go after the guys that are hiring the illegal immigrants. For instance, here in California, you see a lot of these illegal immigrants working in... Absolutely interject. Wait, wait, wait. Let me ask you first. Let me ask you first and then you can tell me. Okay. Because I don't know what job people usually give you for the illegal immigrants, but I'm going to give you one that maybe you don't hear as often because I think most people say agriculture. So I'm going to say... The home building business, because in the home building business here in Southern California, it is dominated by illegal immigrants. They are the people building those homes. And so I'm wondering if we stop them from being able to hire illegals, is the cost of our new homes going to go through the roof? Absolutely. Isn't it already hard enough to win the agriculture? If you're going to ask me to go out there and put a charge of $200. So doesn't that mean that it's going to be... Catch 22, number one. You know, we're doing it with, you know, if you believe that a side... Well, so my question to you is, doesn't that put us further away from the American dream? Doesn't that make it harder for the average guy to be able to buy a home? Yeah. So the answer is, yep, and that's the deal. Yeah, I mean, if you're going to bitch about illegal immigration... They make these and create suspicion. If you're a Mexican and you decide, you don't want to go on two weeks vacation in the United States,
Well, it's not going to happen. You've even come up for two weeks. You got me really thinking about some stuff. I really want to absorb it. Now they're going to build... Well, that... I'll show you somebody with a 51-foot ladder. Mr. Ventura, we're talking to Jesse... Remember this. It's today to keep people 10 years from now. Let's talk to... Let's ask you this question. We're talking to Governor Jesse Ventura, who I've always really respected. I respect your honesty. I think you're a very honest person. I really like it. Well, it gets you... Yeah, maybe sometimes it does. But I like hearing what your thoughts are on this. Let me ask you this. What if we were to say as the American government, you've got to take better care of your people so they're not scrambling to get here. And if you don't, we're going to put some embargoes on you. Not invade, but maybe we're not going to give them any more money. Economy in the depth of $9 trillion. Why do we foreign aid at all, mighty dollar, for a change and fix what we have in this country?
We're talking to Jesse Ventura. Would you ever consider a run at president? As an independent candidate, you have to jump through. And you know what I wish they had on all ballots plain? None of the above. That way you could go none of the above, which is saying I'm using either of these two parts. See, none of the above. Well, then what would happen? Buddy. We're talking to Jesse Ventura. Break down the candidates for us. John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama. Let's start with the Democrats. Who do you like? I vote none of the above. Oh, no. Why do you not like Hillary or Barack? It's true. What about Barack Obama? Why would you not? What are your thoughts as a Navy SEAL? Because I know that you're against the Iraq War, right? As a former Navy SEAL, how do you see this war?
Jesse's book is called... You know, Mr. Ventura. Mr. Ventura, you know, Governor. Governor. I love it. Jesse's book is called Don't Start the Revolution Without Me. It's in bookstores now. Eddie, you got a question? Yeah, real quick. I want to know what you think of your former Predator co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger, how he's doing as governor. What's your opinion? What a dude. Thank you, Jesse. We appreciate you coming on the air. My pleasure. I'm in San Diego. and I'd like to speak. It's beautiful of you to do that. That's really nice. That's really neat. Thank you very much. That's Governor Jesse Ventura. Hey, listen. He's a very articulate guy. He's certainly passionate. Dude. Like, I knew nothing about him going into this interview, and I am such a fan right now. I am such a fan. He's good. I mean, if anything, the thing that you can say about Jesse Ventura is that he's very honest. He believes in what he says. He's unconventional. He's not like a politician. Nothing's polished about him. He just says what's on his mind.
I disagree with him on a lot of the issues, but I respect him. I respect him because he's very honest and he's not, he isn't full of it. And you just, you gotta love that, man. One on the 67 here just north of Scripps Poundway Parkway. Apparently a truck and a smaller car blocking lanes here, and medical crews are en route to this one. So I expect some delays on the 67 into Poway here this morning. We've got an interaction on the westbound 56 here, just past Black Mountain Road. A couple of cars banged up on the right-hand shoulder, and you'll find some slow traffic around that. Heading westbound on the 52, the usual break nights coming out of Santee, heading up the hill now to the top of the summit, and then slows again toward the 15. And now you're seeing a bit of a slow ride in through San Clemente Canyon, approaching Genesee.
The westbound 8 hasn't been too bad at all this morning. In fact, you won't even see the slowdown until you get into the valley. Right around the 805 freeway for a slow ride out towards Mission Center. West 94 down the King Freeway, a little bit backed up from Kelton to the 805, and then a few more brake lights in towards downtown. And coming up into the South Bay, it's been a pretty easy one, especially in this 805 northbound. That's pretty clear until you get to Kearney Mesa. And then watch for those brake lights, pushing the 163 for a slow ride over the 52 towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Now some you might have missed. Jeff makes a pretty good point on his blog. I have to agree. He says those eyelash curler things are probably one of the scariest looking things that people have ever seen. I agree with that. They're creepy looking, man. They're part scissor. Why are you using eyelash curlers, Jeff? I'm not. I'm just saying. We've all seen them. You know what's brutal? What? The Mikey Show.
It's a Mikey show at 7.56. Barack Obama said yesterday that Al Gore would be considered for a cabinet-level position. Donnie Walsh is hired as the new Knicks president, which means the countdown is on for Isaiah Thomas' firing. Mikey, that was one of the greatest interviews to date, signed P1 Rude Dog. Mikey, we need presidents like Jesse Ventura, signed P1 Crazy. I don't care to be the king. Mikey, Mr. Ventura's got my vote. That's P1 Pilot. The texts are coming in at 35253 if you want to call us, 5701053. Governor Ventura had a well-rounded view of our government and politics. I'd like to know what Mikey disagrees with. What I disagree with is the concept of kind of after the fact saying, well, you know, we should have never been there and we shouldn't have gone in there and we shouldn't have done that.
My thought on it is that there were over 200 votes from Democrats and Republicans at the time that believed that there was reason in the post-9-11 days to go into Iraq and not do what we'd done before, which is not attack a sovereign nation, not invade a sovereign nation. I'll tell you what I have a big problem with, though, with our government and our president at the time. What I have a big problem with is saying, I'm going to come search your house for drugs in three months. And so, in fact, I'm going to give you the date. I'm going to be there on July 14th. And let me tell you something. Unless you abide by our rules, I'm coming in there July 14th and I'm looking for drugs. And here's your first deadline. And it passes. Here's your second deadline. And it passes. All right, we're coming in. And then there's no weapons. Now, I don't think we ever should have known any of that. I think that the government should have had this vote and said,
The CIA is telling us, and we have to believe, in my opinion, we have to believe in our CIA. We have to believe in our intelligence. We're supposed to be one of the greatest countries, if not the greatest country in the world. We're supposed to rely on it. And so when we have information in the post 9-11 days that says that there is a country with weapons of mass destruction that is harboring and abetting terrorists, we want to do something about it. People in our government than less people in our government that believed that very thing. And so we went in there and there was no weapons. And now we're in this big, giant mess. And I'll agree with you. It's a big, giant mess. I'll tell you this. I don't think we should leave. I think that if we leave, it's an irresponsible thing to do to the citizens of that country. I think it becomes a slaughter. And I think that that is unhumane. And so I have a problem with that. And we have, right now as a government, bases set up in Japan, whom we defeated. We have bases set up in Germany, whom we've defeated. And now that the surge is going on in Iraq, most likely we're going to defeat this foe, even though they don't wear a uniform and they're cowards. And we have to fight them without a uniform. But I think that eventually we'll prevail.
And I think that just like Germany and Japan, we have a base there. Do we have the presence that we have there now? No. No one's suggesting it. Hopefully, Senator McCain would become president and we wouldn't have the same presence that we would have there. I'll get to it in a second. But the main thing that I disagree with Governor Ventura is the concept of, well, we had never done this before. Right. Well, we had also never been attacked the way that we were attacked on U.S. soil before that happened. And I can speak with just as much passion on the topic of being attacked as a country on our own soil in that way. And it changed everything. We fly differently. We spend money differently. We've done a lot of things differently. Do I feel as a conservative Republican that we should just be bullying countries?
I don't think that anybody that believes in what we're doing there right now thinks that we should do it just because we're big, bad America. And if they do think that, then they're out of their minds. I think that we are doing our best and have always done our best to protect our citizens. That's all. I just think we're trying to protect our citizens. And to President Bush's credit, we've been relatively safe. We have been relatively safe. Sky, what do you think? Well, I just had a question for you because you were talking about being in Iraq for a long, long time and having bases there like in Japan and Germany. But don't you think that a better comparison to Iraq is Vietnam, not Japan and Germany? Absolutely. 100%. And what is our status with Vietnam right now? You know what I mean? So I want to hear it on that level. Let me explain. Okay. I think that there were many things that happened in Vietnam that we have learned from. And we've changed in our policy today. Like Jane Fonda. Exactly. Oh, boy. We put her in nine to five and we said, all right, we called it a day. But what happened in, there's a really good movie that everybody should see. It's a documentary called The Fog of War. And it's about the, at the time, Secretary of Defense that was making some pretty wacky decisions here in Vietnam. And one of the things that, I don't know if a lot of people know this, in Vietnam,
You couldn't do this. You couldn't be looking at the enemy. Like let's say you got binoculars, right? You're sitting there with your binoculars and you're on a mountainside and you're looking at the enemy. And the enemy is coming towards you with men and stuff. You couldn't open fire on them back in the Vietnam days. What you had to do was you had to go through a chain of command to get approval. And what you had was Americans going, they're right here. No approval. In fact, you see that movie, you're going to hear McNamara, who was the Secretary of Defense, admitting, yeah, yeah, yeah, we made a mistake. And things have changed. We fight differently than we fought then. There have been less, in terms of war, the Iraq War has had less casualties than any war we've ever fought. Wait, less U.S. casualties. U.S. casualties. Okay. So if you're speaking about the loss of American life,
Nothing can replace one of them. But in terms of war, this is the lowest amount of casualties, Americans, that the United States has ever experienced. But that is a great question. Why don't we have a presence in Vietnam? Well, when we left Vietnam, the day that we left Vietnam, you saw people holding on to the rudders of helicopters. The United States was pulling out and basically saying, anybody that can get in the chopper, you Vietnamese people, anybody that can get in here will take you back. Oh, my gosh. And you literally see Vietnamese people hanging on to the rudders as it's flying away. That's insane. It's some of the craziest footage that you'll ever see. And so I don't want to ever see that again. Right. And so we should have a presence there now. If we leave, we should keep. A small U.S. presence to secure the area so that Iraqis don't get slaughtered, which is what will happen. If we leave completely like Vietnam, they're going to get killed and not in small numbers. They're going to get killed in big numbers. I hope they keep the surge going. I think it'll help. Mikey show. Hey, Mikey. I wanted to call in and talk to you about how wonderful that interview was.
Not maybe because of the issues that he talked about, but his persona and the way he came across. It really made me feel great and encouraged and empowered as a person and as an American. I mean, I spent time in Iraq serving in the military, and I just felt good even more about my country if that was even possible. So I have a really big excitement that's going on right now, and it's really kind of hard to contain or describe. But that whole interview, I was just driving along like I normally do, listening to the Mikey show. And all of a sudden, I want to jump up and scream, yeah, you know. So thank you so much for having him on today. I really appreciate it. You got it. I like him, too. And I think I like him for the same reasons that you like him. He's a fantastic orator. Let me tell you something. A good communicator is able to communicate. One thing to the other, to the person listening on the other end. A great communicator gets them to participate. You're actively engaging the person that you're listening to. You're not just listening to them. You're hanging on their every word. I know another guy that does that that's out there right now. A guy that's out there right now that does that pretty good. Well, when he gives speeches. There he is. He is able to do something.
With the people he's talking to. No, Mike Martin Luther King was assassinated. Oh, that's true. That is true. But I was talking about... I was talking about... Bill Cosby? No, I was not. But that was him. That's right. This one, I heard his voice. P1JDog. Hey, Mikey, how's it going? Good. P1JDog from San Marcos. What's up? Nothing much. I totally agree with you on the Jesse the Body thing. I mean, and he's not even from San Diego, so he can't say anything about the borders, man. I mean, living here... And dealing with these illegals every day and being in the construction business and having them take our jobs and being a parolee. And now when you go to get a construction job, they ask you if you have a record. And they don't even ask you if you're illegal. They ask you if you have a record. Now, I can't get a job being a parolee and being out of prison for seven years doing construction. Well, I think what Jesse was saying that, you know, that's not the illegal fault. That's not your fault. That's the person doing the hiring's fault. No, that's the border's fault for them opening the borders. So that tiny strip of land right there, that's their fault? Yes, that's their fault. And then they come here to our country and they're so proud to be from Mexico and their Mexican flags. But what he was saying is that if the...
They don't even want to try to speak English. If your employer wasn't hiring them, there would be no problem. Spanish is a way cooler language. That is true. Sounds so much better. It's a lot sexier. Buenos noches. And when the employers have no choice but to hire somebody that's going to work for pennies, then of course they're going to hire that guy. Well, they do have a choice. See, they do have a choice. If the government was to say, okay, no more illegals coming across the border, You're not allowed to hire illegals. You'll lose your business license. Then the average white man, the average guy on parole that's been out of prison, been trying to do good for years, could get a job. That's what Jesse Ventura was saying. It's in the hands of the employers. Yeah, but it's not the employer's fault. It's the former's fault. But you just said that, sir. You just admitted yourself. If the employer was forced to not hire illegals, then you would maybe have a job. Yeah, exactly. That's what Jesse was saying. Yeah, but Jesse's also saying that they can't build that fence. They need to open the borders. They need to let them across and give them jobs and all that bullcrap. He didn't actually say that. He didn't see that at all. Were you listening? Yeah, someone's got their own internal issues. Didn't he say that there shouldn't be borders and that borders are what... He did say that, but what his point was, you know, is to stop the demand.
That was his whole point. And that the fences, they don't do anything. So why are we wasting all this time and money on fences that aren't going to accomplish anything? You can give us a text. And the text number is 35253. So give us a call right now. And our phone number is 5701053. So text us and give us a phone call right now. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? For those of you that don't know, that's Chad Johnson. No. Chad, it is you. Don't try to say that it isn't you. We know that. Well, Chad. Chad, we have to go, but it was wonderful talking to you. Thank you for coming on. That's Chad Johnson. That's it? No, wait a second. Chad, I can't talk to you forever, so thank you. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? No, I don't. I've got a little something coming up called Tone Deaf Karaoke. Oh, you mean a party? That's right. A party. We'll do it next. 570-1053 is our phone number. The Mikey Show continues. She's actually hanging onto the helicopter. Yes, it is. As it's flying away. She's in the rotors. He won Napoleon. Yeah, what's up, Mikey? How you doing today? How you doing? Super. Are you ready to play a little tone-deaf karaoke? Let's do it. All right, dude, I'm going to play you the clip. Just let the whole thing play, and all I need is title or artist for you to win. Here we go. Can you give me the name of the song or who was singing it? You are singing. So close. I'm going to give you one more guess because you're so close. You're so close, dude. You're right there. You got it. You got it, dude. That was the same song. That's what Ashley was. She was singing that right there. Yes, Chad Johnson. I just put my own spin on it. You did. You really did.
Like a stinky spin. Same song. You sing like your dog looks. Wow. So beautifully. So beautifully and cute and preciously. Like an old man. Napoleon, you are a winner, dude. I'm going to let you win. Speaking of old men, Sean. Yeah, that's right. Mr. Just Turned 38. P1 James Urban is on the line. Mr. Urban. Yes. Are you ready to play? I hope so. Let the whole clip play before you take your guess. Here we go. I'm sorry, Eddie. I'm sorry, Eddie. Ashley, is that your tone or no? It is not my tone. It's not her tone. So she says, hey, she admits it. That didn't sound that good because it's not really her register. I'm sorry, Eddie. P1, James Urban, can you give me title or artist a win? I heard no words. I'm sorry, I can't. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was more of a P. Oh, that was... Off key. Yeah, yeah. Couldn't hear a damn thing. All right. Yeah, it was actually, uh, that was boys to men. How dare you? How dare you? I know it. They did the best they could. Syrup. That's runs. I said she's got the runs. I heard of you. P1 Chelsea, uh, you up next. Are you ready? I think so. All right, Chelsea, just wait till the whole thing's done before you give me a title or artist. You ready? Mm-hmm. Here we go. They like me, but I want them to love me like they love Pac. Now holla in.
New York for sure. You tell me I'm local. The plan is to put the rap game in the chokehold. I'm feeling focused, man. My money on my mind. I got a meal out the deal and I'm still in the grind. Now shorty said she feeling my style. She feeling my flow. Her girlfriend wanted to get by and they're ready to go. She got you, Eddie. She sold you on it. She sold you on it. She can flow. The kick can flow. That's a good one. B1 Chelsea, can you give me title or artist to win? Um, I don't speak retard. Oh, that's good. That's good. 50%. 50%. Fitty. I mean, that came out of nowhere. In the club. Mike, she just sucker punched me. I know it. I know it. I was not a friend. I did, too. I thought she was my supporter. I did, too. And she just slapped me in my own face. That hurt. Chelsea, I understand that... Why do you hate me, Chelsea? Well, Chelsea was a little upset. It wasn't her genre. She didn't need to lash out, though, Mike. Chelsea... Yeah. I'm going to give you a chance to redeem yourself. Oh, wow. After that? I'm going to give you a chance to redeem yourself. Well, I think she called the singing retarded, but I don't think she called it. Yeah, Chelsea, let's try one more time. Either way. I'm going to give you a different type of music now. Here we go. Was that your tone, Ashley? Most deaf. Most deaf. Most deaf. Oh, I like him. P1, Chelsea, now were you saying that you were moss deaf is what you were saying? I said most deaf. Got it, got it.
Chelsea, title or artist? I think... Okay, I know the song I'm trying to think of. Are you American? I am American. Okay. From the United States of America. Continental. I know it, I know it, I know it. Oh, it's right there. It's right there on your lips and your mouth, you mouther. Boy in the summer? Boy in the plastic summer? Close enough. Close enough. Should we give it to her? No. I totally know it. Say it already. If you played it again, Mike, she would know it. Get it. I like when Ashley makes herself laugh. That is as weird as Sean's t-shirt. I mean, it is true.
Whoa, whoa. That's a cool shirt. What's the name of it? Come on. Well, is it the singer? The guy from the Eagles? Oh, for goodness sake. I can't think of it. Say his name or say the name of the song already. His name is... I can't think of it. Well, that's what you get for calling me a name. I totally knew who it was. It was Don Henley. Yeah, that's what I said. And the song was Boys of Summer. You didn't say that. Exactly, she did. I think we should give it to her. Fine, I'll give it to her. Fine, Chelsea. I'm going to give it to you. I'm going to give you the prize. All right. Well, sound excited or something, you know? See? Be nice next time. No, I think Sky might be right. She called my girl a name, and then we gave her two chances, and she couldn't figure it out. She's not that happy about it. No. She's just not happy. Yeah, she's just not outgoing like that. Leave her alone. We're nice. No offense. Let's ask Chad Johnson. Chad, do you think that we should give this prize to Chelsea? Haven't we given her enough? No. Fine. Chad Johnson says that we're giving you a prize. Thank you. Anything else you want to talk about? No. We're just trying to play the game, Chad. You can go now. Boston Rob put up some kind of wonderful. I love it.

And not only that, but they got Nobu, which if you don't know what Nobu is, I don't even want to know you because Nobu is like the best place to eat. anywhere i've eaten at nobu in uh in vegas and i know they got one in new york london that's right dude uh so yeah it's just it's just killer man and all this stuff going on in hard rock and you could be part owner of that if you wanted to you could uh own a suite at the hard rock and when you are an owner at the hard rock you get everything everything you know say Friday night, no booze crazy. It's just out of control crazy. But if you're an owner, no worries. We'll get you in. You got a table, front of the line, no waiting, no reservations, nothing like that. You will get set up because you're basically a rock star when you're an owner there. And when you're a rock star, you get treated like one. So it is just awesome. It is the way to go. I know that times are tough right now. The market's tough. But if you can do it, this is the way to do it. And this is the time to do it, to invest.
in a hard rock suite, become an owner of the coolest thing going on in San Diego. It's the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. The Mikey Show. Here's your Mikey moment. There's like a really big rivalry and like a war going on at the dog park. Really? What? I have a question, Ash. Where do you carry... The little tiny shovel that you scoop. There's no shovel. There's no shovel. How do you do it? Well, it depends. For me, I... I kick it in with my bare foot. So good. Because, you know, I'll go green. So, like, if I ever get a plastic bag, like, I will always just save them now. Tom, friends. I'll just bring a plastic bag in my pocket and... Use my barbecue tongs. The Mikey Show continues. Rock. How about that one? Get it. This guy's a good dancer. I have a question for you that's going to seem so normal, yet I do not know the answer. What is it? Now, I'm talking off the air. The following question is a question about off the air, not on the air. Have you ever danced with Sky? Yes. Was it in a city with two names? Yes.
Was the city called Las Vegas? Yes. Yeah, right in front of my husband. Eddie and I got down to a little Justin Timberlake. Is that what it was? Yeah. My husband wouldn't do it. Was it at that creepy casino? First of all. Okay, okay, okay. I also have news about that. Okay. That was at... The B.C., the Barbary Coast. Oh, man. With Egg Drop performing. Yes, the creepiest casino in Las Vegas. I will have news for you guys. Yeah. It is no longer the Barbary Coast. Really? What is it now? It's called Bills. Really? Yeah. Is Egg Drop still there? Egg Drop, I believe, is still there. I didn't see them this time. You guys, they aren't really called Egg Drop Soup. Excuse me. Excuse me. They're an Asian 80s cover band. What? And I have been going to see them for years. I know, Eddie. And they appreciate what I call them, Egg Drop. But I think... Well, see, it was weird, because I didn't get that vibe. Because you kept telling me they're Egg Drop Soup, and I was really drunk, and it was my birthday, and I really thought that was the name of their band, and I was screaming it at them, and they were looking at me like I was a crazy racist. That is true. But they love it. They love me. They know me. Eddie says that they love it, but they don't seem to react that way when he's drunk.
And everybody's drunk. But they like it. They're good friends of mine. Known for years. Bills now, not Barbary Coast. There you go. And it's not creepy. Thank you. Skye was in the Britney Spears outfit that night, if I remember correctly. And we got down. Skye, what were you drinking that night? Probably a better question was what was I drinking that night? I remember you were drinking things with lots of different colors. Yes, I was. One minute, something red. The next minute, something green. That was fun times. Our text number here is 35253. Now, wait a minute. I know I'm lying in a field of grass somewhere. And our phone number is 5701053. This is going to be the most popular statement, but I think that that Al Pacino movie looks dumb. 88 minutes. Oof. I thought it looked kind of dumb. What did you think, Eddie? Eh, you know, it doesn't look great. What's it about, Mike? About two hours. It's actually about 88 minutes, you guys. Oh, really? It's real time. Cut 13. Have you ever thought about going on Dancing with the Stars? Oh, come on, that's Steve. I'd take that as a no. But then again, Al did do that tantalizing tango in Scent of a Woman out on DVD, so maybe he's not ruling it out. You know my friend George Hamilton did it.
And George was terrific and he enjoyed it. And, you know, if I need to lose a few pounds, maybe I'll try it. Is he living in a shoe now? Like, what's the deal? Yeah, Al is not a spring chicken anymore. Mikey Show, hello. Hello. Yes, it is. Yes. No, no, ma'am. Oh, do I have the wrong music? Ma'am? Yes! How have you seen it?
And there they've already put it on. I got the wrong bet again. Are you Iranian? I'm sorry? Are you Iranian? No, no. My sister-in-law is. Okay. Are you from New Jersey? Spain. You're from Spain. I was closer the first time. My goodness. It's all over the place. What is your name? What is your name, please? Magdalena. What is your name? Macarena. Everybody baptized me. It's a billion-ton difference. Magdalena. Man, that is not easy to understand. You can call me Madeline. You can call me Madeline. I see, Madeline. Okay. But tell me one more time, please, what your name is. No, no, no, I'll get it right this time. Well, you want me to spell it for you or you want me to spell it? Yes, spell it, please. M as in mom, A, E as in George, D as in dog, A, L, E, N, A. Ah, Madeline.
How old are you, Maddie? You're eight years old. What? Her phone cut off. How old are you? I'm 34. 34 years old. Oh, that's different. And how did you get here to San Diego? How did that take place? Well, my husband is in the military. I see. I see. Well, it's very nice to talk to you. And you got the Iranian television and you've already seen the movie 88 Minutes. And what did you think? Was it any good? Not really. Thank you, Maddie. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you very much. I appreciate that. No problem. I did too. We have some friends from Chile and I love to hear them talk. In fact, I wish that I could be in Chile so that they would be thinking that I have a cool accent. Yeah. Because they do. There's definitely an emphasis when they're saying American words that start with an H. They will say, when I talk to him.
There is definitely an emphasis on the H words. Because the other day it was very hot. It got very hot. So there's really an emphasis on those H's. P1DP has a question for Eddie. Go ahead. Eddie. Yeah. Have you ever been to Dre's, which used to be... Dre Eyes. Yeah, I love it. Yeah. Yeah. What is Dre Eyes, Eddie? Well, it's Dre's. He's right, but it's spelled weird, and me and my friends have always called it Dre Eyes because that's how it looks. It's the best-kept secret of the Barbary Coast. It's an after-hours club. Dance club. Wait a second. An after-hours club at the Barbary Coast? It's awesome, dude. It goes off. Is it open at like 8 a.m. or what? It opens at one, and there's always a line. There's always a line. No way. Yeah, dude, it's awesome. I can't believe that you guys didn't go there that night. Dude, I didn't know. I think we did. No. Nah, this guy's like, we did? I don't know. I don't know that you were there, though. What? Thank you for the call. I go there every time, dude. Come on. That's so cool. It's my birthday, man. It was cool. It was me and Sean. Yeah, right. Let's see.
Oh, yeah, so I told you, this is a very scandalous story. There's a guy that's running for city council, and he's been arrested, Sky? Yeah, he was arrested last Thursday. He was arrested for masturbating and urinating in public. Holy cow. In decent exposure and lewd conduct. His name is Pee Wee Herman. Do we know any details about it? Well, his name's John Hartley, and he used to be on the city council back in 89 and 93, and he's actually currently running again for San Diego City Council to replace Tony Adkins, who has to leave the city council because, you know... Been on that diet before. But I'll tell you what, it's hard to go without all that. No, because her term limit is up. But anyway, so he's running to fill. All the bacon you want, though. You can eat that stuff until the cows come home. Burgers. He's running to fill her seat. And I guess on Thursday of last week, they were getting together for something called a precinct walking tour to walk around the different areas and stuff. And two women called the police reported that they saw a man allegedly urinating into a cup and pleasuring himself as well. What?
Where was this? Like out on the street? In his car parked on Vista Street in San Diego. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. The police showed up. DNA evidence was collected. He was arrested, the whole thing. And so now there's talk about, you know, was this handled properly? Are they being too strict on him? Because they say if it was any other guy off the street, he would have been have one appearance in court, a fine, and it would be over. But now there's a lot more going on with this one. This is Mark Carlos, who's an attorney and legal analyst here in San Diego. Cut 48. I went just for a joke from all off the street. It would be over with in one appearance and a fine. Once again, with politics, though, who knows what can happen? I'm sure they make it worse. In all my years in the public defender's office, I never saw a case at a misdemeanor level where they took DNA evidence on a 647 charge. It's kind of unheard of. It presents the appearance of a conflict, and sometimes that's enough to create the conflict itself. Let's see. Pedro Martinez of the Mets is going to miss four to six weeks with a strained hamstring. How old is Pedro Martinez? That's a good question. He's probably about 34. 34? 35, something like that. I don't know. Rob may know. I know Rob's a Pedro fan. Well, I was, Mike.
What do you think? How old would you say Pedro Martinez is Boston, Rob? You talking to me? Huh? How old would you say Pedro? How old would you say Pedro is? 34, 35? You gotta cut his leg open, Mike, and count the rings. In the twilight years of his career. I think so, too. He'll be 37 this year. Wow. Oh, holy moly. Retire, dude. Oh, man, you were right about the rings and the leg thing. What? Holy mackerel. Obama says that he would want Al Gore as part of his cabinet. Really? No-brainer, huh? That's not a big surprise. Secretary of Defense? No, a cabinet-level position dealing with the environment. Oh, what a surprise.
It looks like Isaiah Thomas is about to be fired because they hired somebody else for the job. I guess that's an indication, right? Well, you figure anybody that the Knicks hire as their president is probably going to fire Isaiah. Isaiah is not doing so good and has never done very good. The number two guy for Al-Qaeda says that they don't kill innocents. Well, if you ask them, I think that they feel that all Western people are guilty. The infidel. Yeah, we're the infidel. We are guilty, so they don't think we're innocent. I think innocents would be, I don't know, Muslims that are, you know, child Muslims or something. He says in a new audio tape that was released that innocents who have been killed in attacks by Al-Qaeda or affiliated groups died as a result of unintentional error or because they were used as human shields by the enemy. So we were using people in the World Trade Center as human shields? Totally. Or they didn't know that people were going to be in the building? They thought it was a motel. Weird. A new study says that, and this is a study, that the optimal amount of time for intercourse is between 3 and 13 minutes, which goes in the face of conventional wisdom, which makes people think that the longer the better. Yeah.
According to a survey of sex therapists, they say that, yeah, the best amount of time for intercourse was between 3 to 13 minutes. Now, that does not include foreplay. That's just intercourse itself. Two minutes and 30 seconds longer than I've ever had. And a study done a couple years ago shows that the median time for intercourse is actually just a little bit over 7 minutes. Well, if they say three to 13 minutes, then that means that three minutes is optimal. Between three to 13 minutes, yes. You can be satisfied and happy and have a healthy sex life. According to that study, 13 minutes is great, but so is three. Yeah. There you go. Anywhere in that range. 14 minutes, I'm bored. You're bored. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. You're welcome, Oprah. Weird. There's a genetic link between smoking and addiction. Is that right? Get out. No, they say, I guess, depending on your genes, you're more predisposed to it than someone else. Is that what they're trying to say? Yeah. You're more...
Predisposed to the addiction part of it? I guess so. To smoking the amount you smoke and the chance of you getting lung cancer. So they say smokers who get this genetic variant from both of their parents. have a one in four chance of developing lung cancer and that's about 70% to 80% higher than smokers who don't have that gene from both the parents. And then a smoker who only gets that gene from one parent, their risk of lung cancer is about one-third higher than smokers without that gene. Even when I was a smoker and I smoked the most, you know, like when I was at the peak of my smoking. All I could smoke was a pack a day. I mean, if I went over that, I felt all sick and nauseous. I tried hard enough. Well, like Eddie Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen at one point was a three-pack-a-day smoker. That's crazy! My boyfriend, he was telling me that when he was in rehab a couple years ago, that he had this guy that was his friend.
who would smoke so many cigarettes that he would never stop, that he had yellow around his lips and an indentation of where the cigarette was. Gross. And that he never, he was one of those smokers that all day long would go cigarette to cigarette, never stopped. Really? Yeah. That's probably a three-pack-a-day smoker, because I can't imagine. He said he'd smoke a pack in an hour. Yeah, if you're smoking a pack a day, you don't ever have, if you're smoking three packs a day, you never don't have a cigarette. Right. You have to constantly have a cigarette in your mouth. Eddie, have you ever tried a cigarette? I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. Oh, my God. That's good. That's good. Shawnee hasn't. Who else hasn't? I never have. What about Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, Jr., Esquire III? Rosie is smoking right now. He's a smoker? Yeah. Oh, that's right. Man, sometimes when Rob walks over here, he...
I think he smoked some extra smoky ones. That's right. It's the truth. I think what we need right now probably is a little Huey Lewis in the news. Chad, just because it's not your thing doesn't mean that it isn't you. No. It's Chad Johnson. He doesn't understand. We keep him on the show throughout the, on the phone throughout the entire show. And then every once in a while we go to him. But that's going to call it, that's going to be a day today, Chad. Thanks for being on. That's it. That's it, Chad. Thank you for staying on the phone with us throughout the entire show. We appreciate it. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Not really. No. She's never boiled a hot dog. So you cook them. How do you cook them? In the pan. Let's say that we were all coming over and we were like, let's have hot dogs. Oh, well, if we're having friends over, we'd probably have a barbecue. Grill them. But if nobody's coming over... But if it's just me and the boo making hot dogs at home, they're done in his grandmother's cast iron skillet that we have to be very careful with. Wait, he...
He cooks with like a black cast iron skillet? From handed down from his grandmother that I got in trouble once for attempting to wash. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was a monster. I was a monster. Yeah. My wife's done stuff like that. My wife, oh, man, with some of the stuff she'll put in the dishwasher. Well, I didn't know. Dishwasher? Oh, dude. No. Rebecca put stuff in the dishwasher that you're not supposed to put in the dishwasher. Yeah, exactly. It's so funny, too, because she'll do the thing where she goes, And there's no comeback to it. The argument is over. She's like, I have so much going on. I mean, what am I supposed to say? I'm like, okay, fine. Put the toaster in the dishwasher. Mikey, three packs a day is about one every 15 minutes. That's gross. Mikey, it's a waste to text you guys. Why? I've texted over 50 texts.
And still haven't gotten recognized. Please take my thoughts into consideration. Signed, P1 No Regrets. What's that about, Zeth? Well, we'll get stuff like that every once in a while. People just getting frustrated. Yeah. Not getting stuff read on the air. We get a lot of texts. Do you recognize that name, P1 No Regrets? Yeah. What is his stuff? It's just a lot of stuff that really isn't on topic or maybe kind of not. good to read on the air. Anybody can text it and say sky's a beating. It doesn't mean we're going to read it on the air. I'm sorry. Is that what he says? Yeah, stuff along those lines. That's not really a take. I mean, he's right, but it doesn't mean we're going to read it. You know what I'm saying? And we already know that. The sky is blue, guys. Signed P1, the obvious. Well, the deal is that if you text us, You know, you've got to be clever, or you've got to have something funny to say, or you've got to have an opinion about something. Well, because you get a lot of texts of people going, Hi, Mikey Show, good morning, and stuff like that. Quite a few of those, too. Yeah, I mean, we can't. You can't do that. We're doing the best we can. Yeah, you know what I mean? I mean, that's nice, but it's not going to make sense. Thank you. Yeah. Good morning to you. This one says, Hey, Mickey. It's Mikey. Well, there's no C, and never mind. Sure.
Say, hey, Mickey. New guy in town. Love the show. Could you impersonate Boston Rob's voice again? Oh. Your impersonation cracks me up. Cracks me up. Soon to be P1 Juicy J. Night. Well, we all do Boston Rob imitations. It's not just me. I got to tell you something, Mike. No, no. I'm wearing the number nine jersey today. Why? Because it's an off day. And it makes me nervous because I don't want to. I don't want it to become like a wicked sore subject with Boston fans that I wear the number nine jersey. And it could be bad luck. Wait. Are you telling me the truth? Yeah. The Ted Williams jersey is bad luck so far. And so I wear it on off days until I play the Royals. And then I can wear it and it's an automatic win. Yeah, but so you're telling me that you have a history with a number nine. Well.
Ted Williams is the greatest Red Sox player of all time. God rest his soul. God rest his soul. God rest his soul. For some reason, this jersey is not working out. Well, yeah. I've learned that through a lot of hard knocks. Yeah. Experience, Mike. Experience. Ever hear of it? You don't keep wearing it if you're going to lose unless you're playing the Royals. Right. I would never wear it. playing the following teams because the Royals suck, Scott. I'm sorry. You don't have to yell at me. The Royals suck, all right. Kind of a hothead. Yeah. How they doing, Rob? How's who doing? What do you mean? What are you talking about? Yeah, what do you mean? How they doing, Robbie? The Red Sox and the Royals. They both suck.
What? Oh, there he is. Hey, I was letting you guys do my stuff for me. I like it. You're pretty good. Three layers of Red Sox clothing today. Seriously. What's wrong with that? It's season right now. I can wear my stuff. Let me see you. What do you have going on? Well, he took a layer off already. What was he wearing? That big Boston Red Sox sweatshirt. Under the jersey was a Red Sox sweatshirt. Under the Red Sox sweatshirt is a Red Sox t-shirt. It's not just any Red Sox t-shirt, though, Scott. Why don't you read it? That's it? That's it. World champion. Yeah, that's right. That's just your average tee. And do you know who number nine is? We gotta do something. You don't? We have to do something. I'll come in there in the break. I'll tell you all about him. No, I'm good. Greatest baseball hitter ever. Ever. We got to do something. Like what? Where Rob. Send me to Boston. I'll report live from a game or something. No. Where Rob is forced to not do that. Not do what? What do I do? I'm a fan of my team. Be himself. Wear the Red Sox stuff. I can't. I'm at the beginning of my closet and I'm just going to go through six months of it. What if we got him like.
Preppy clothes. Dude, no. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. You got it. Wait until October. We get him the most trendiest guy clothes available right now. Like whatever guys, because he hates that. Very emo. Dude, whatever guys are wearing a lot right now is what he would hate. Because he hates convention. He doesn't like it when everybody does it. He despises it. So imagine if we made him come in here with, I don't know. Prep him out. Yeah, prep him out. Like real fresh. I think it would be awesome because, you know, he lives with his clown school brothers who are always in for a good prank. That's right. If he just went into the house, took all his clothes and replaced on every hanger like normal guy clothes. Yankee style. I will carry my clothes with me in my car. I want to see Rob. This is what I want to see. You think I'm kidding. I want to see Rob. I've done it before. I'll do it again. 501s with an IZOD tucked in and a belt. Oh, yes. So you want to gay me up? Oh, wow. Gay me up? That's not nice. Oh, that would be hysterical. Oh, no way. Straight Rob makeover. I look good in my socks gear. Come on. Oh, can you imagine? P1 Tammy is on the line. How much did your dad smoke, Tammy? Five packs a day. Whoa! Five packs a day. That's crazy. Yep. He would get up in the middle of the night and smoke.
He smoked during dinner. He would have an ashtray right outside the shower, so while he was showering, he could reach out and take drugs. That's it? Yep. How much do you smoke? None anymore. When did you quit? A couple years ago. How much did you smoke? Almost a pack a day. How old are you? 29 plus 10. Cute. I like it. I love that answer. I like it. And you quit how long ago? A couple years ago. Good for you. How'd you do it? Just quit. Got tired of it. Too expensive. Can't afford it, so it's done. There you go. Yeah, Ashley's got a question. Did your father, is he okay or did he get like lung cancer or anything? No, right now he just got diagnosed with emphysema. How old is he? 68. Is he still smoking? Yep. Oh my God. Don't surprise me. Three packs a day.
Hey, he's doing progress. He can't even walk down the hall without his oxygen tank, but to smoke, he'll turn his oxygen tank off, take his mask off and smoke a cigarette and then put his oxygen mask back on. You ever see the movie 21 Grams? No. That's, I'm telling you, man, in the movie 21 Grams, Sean Penn has to get a lung transplant. And he's on the list for, or excuse me, not a lung transplant, a heart transplant. And he's on the list. to get the heart transplant. And he lives with his wife and he'll go into the bathroom and he's got like a little bottle of prescription pills and that's where he keeps his cigarettes because it's a big bottle. And he'll go in there and he'll smoke and he'll blow it out the window and then spray in there so that she can't tell. But one day she comes home and when he walks out to greet her, she can smell it on him because it's still on him. And he's got the deal where he's got the tube in his nose and he has to carry around the, canister of oxygen i'm telling you man that that cigarette stuff it is so addictive dude my uh dad my dad used to be a hardcore smoker and he would always you know his first smoke of the day would always be in their little uh what's it called when it's just like a toilet and a shower in a little room like
You know what I'm talking about, the kind of bathrooms. A half bathroom? Well, like in a master where it's really, it's kind of tiny. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. What is that called? I don't know. Maybe there's not a name for it. Oh, oh, oh. It's the pooper. You know what I'm talking about. You're right. So he'd always have his first smoke in there. And one day my mom was like, gosh, these walls. Did we paint these walls yellow? No way. Have they always been yellow? So she took a little bleach rag and did a little line. And I mean, the walls were completely yellow. So in Bleach, my mom wrote something on the wall, like, your lungs. Wow. It was just crazy. That's gross. Yeah. Well, hey, listen, Tammy, good for you for quitting. Thank you. It's a really cool thing. Thanks for calling. No problem. Have a good day. You too. I liked Tammy. Me too. P1 John. Yes. Go ahead. You're on the air. Yeah, I was calling. I know the creator of the Twilight Zone, Rod Serling. Rod Serling? He smoked five packs a day. Did he really? Yes. I know he smoked a lot. He smoked on the show. He always had a cigarette in his hand. He would open the show. I mean, you know what's really terrible? Back in the 50s, it used to look really cool, you know? It really did. It looked really cool. Like old talk show hosts, you know, they would smoke while interviewing. Exactly. Certain people still do. Or all TV shows. No, Ashley, no one looks cool smoking. Oh, well, I think... I beg to differ, Mike. I do beg to differ. Hello, I smoke.
My boyfriend looks medical. He says I look great. No, when I would watch Sex and the City, I for some reason always thought Carrie looked so cool when she smoked. It's awful. Isn't that terrible? Isn't that weird? I know. It's weird. Mikey Show. Hello. Mikey Show. Hey, I'm just calling about the... He's putting his pants on, guys. Go ahead. You what? I'm just calling to talk about my grandma who used to smoke about two packs a day. She smoked two packs? Yeah, she used to walk around the yard and actually trade her oxygen mask for a cigarette. It was a bull. That's gnarly. Yeah, very gnarly. Thank you. When we come back, I'm going to tell you who is being courted to play Magnum P.I. in the movie version of Magnum P.I. Oh, really? Awesome. Yeah, they're going to do a movie version of it. Take it down. Stop it. And I'll tell you who it's going to be when we come back.
Sometimes I just, I like to annoy myself, you know what I mean? The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. If your tire dealer defines selection as offering both whitewall and blackwall tires... Looking pretty nice on our freeways right now. No major problems. Just the usual brake lights here down the coastline. Hanging on on the southbound side of the 5 out of Encinitas towards Solana Beach. And farther south, Caltrans Cruise once again working the right-hand lanes doing some bridge painting here. Just past the 52. And that's slowing you around them through Mission Bay. Other than that, though, the South 15 is looking great here. Just a minor delay through Carmel Mountain Ranch. No worries out of the East County or the South Bay rides. They're up to speed and problem-free as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. All right, dude, this is you. Hold on. Are you? There you go. Oh, look at that. He agrees. Why do you say that, Scott? Because you said it's the worst and people shouldn't eat it. Never said that. Eddie, I've never said it. I would love people to hear what Scott was just saying.
She said occasionally her husband, we were talking about pizza and how as couples we order pizza. And I said that in our house, we have to do a half pizza, half pizza because Rebecca would never eat Hawaiian. Right. And that's my favorite kind of pizza. It's like my fiance. Your fiance won't do it either? No, that's my favorite. You guys should be married. Yeah, no kidding. What is she like? Too, too sure. You guys are getting married. A lot of stuff. You should know her pizza liking. There's, like, different things. Like, she'll like, you know, like, the olives, onions, pepperoni. But there's no, like, certain, like, you know, she orders this pizza. She doesn't? Mm-mm. She likes a shrimp scampi pizza that she makes at home. I don't like gourmet pizzas. That's ridiculous. What is that ridiculous? I give you an answer and now it's ridiculous. Yes. Thank you. You guys are all out of line. Eddie uses the veto law.
Yeah, I vetoed a topping choice last night. I just didn't feel like it. What did you guys do? Pepperoni is always the main thing. And then she let me have my choice of a topping. I said sausage. And I was going to give her a choice of a topping. And she said onion. I just didn't feel like it. I said no, vetoed black olive. Sometimes you ought to veto. Well, I'm a lot cooler than you are. So when you do it, it's cool. When I do it, I'm a jerk. I don't do it all the time like you do. I don't either. Yes, you do. Sometimes he wants what I want. Skye, when do you let him? Why don't you guys do the half pizzas? It's kind of a pain, and they screw it up. It's more expensive that way. Are you guys? I would think so. Why would it be more expensive? Who knows, but that's the best answer I've ever heard in my life. It's not a pizza place. Same price. He was a Papa John kid. No, you charge for the more expensive side. Yeah, but we don't charge you any more. Yeah, but you're charging the more expensive side. If we were just to get my side, then it would be a low price. It's like 30 cents. Yeah, but a topping is not 30 cents. Especially when you consider... I'll give you the extra money. I'll give it to you. I'm saying a lot. If you're sitting there right now and you're listening to this and you're having a pizza, you're sitting there having a pizza and you're thinking to yourself, man, a job sounds great. Then why am I eating pizza in the morning?
That's right. Try out the U.S. Border Patrol. Go to borderpatrol.gov and check out the cool stuff that they got going on. Yeah, then you can make the money to afford the extra toppings. You got it. Look, that is so funny. I can't get over you. Every day you amazing. She is a whine. She is a whine. Thank you. The Border Patrol does a lot more stuff. God, these headphones are awful. I can't believe you're wearing them. I'm not sitting where I usually sit right now. I'm on another microphone sitting next to Eddie and Skye. I know. I wish we did the show like this. Yeah, I like you over here. It's fun. Let's see. Look at the kids corner over there. The kids' table. Yeah. We're eating on red plastic plates. Plastic forks. And it's Thanksgiving. Didn't that suck? Yeah. Why didn't the kids get to eat normal stuff, man? Always had to be on paper plates. What's the deal with the kids?
What's going on with the guest table? Why did we have to sit on the smaller table? So you could write ATVs, horse patrol, be in SWAT stuff, do intel, all that. If you want to know more about the Border Patrol, just go to borderpatrol.gov. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Mikey Morning Show. See San Diego's Rock. Here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. We've got Jesse Ventura. And as a former Navy SEAL, how do you see this war? World War II veteran. My father was a World War II veteran. I'm a Vietnam veteran and my father is a Vietnam veteran. I never believed our country, our military, without being asked, invade country, overthrow its government. Jesse's book is called The Mikey Show Continues on the Rock. Back, it's 920. Nickelback singer Chad Kroger was convicted yesterday of a DUI in Canada. Coffee didn't have such a good day yesterday.
He allowed four runs with two outs in the ninth, and they lost to Houston 9-6. That's not good. It's a bad day. Mikey, please bring, sing, please, oh, Mikey, please sing the intro to that Bare Naked Lady song. That's Bound. No, don't. He left the word out. Please don't. He says he really enjoyed it. That's Bound. This is my favorite band, right? Cutlass. No. If I was a guitar player, that's the sound I would want my guitar to have. Mikey, how do Sky and Sean feel about Josh leaving the Big Brother house last night? Oh, wow. There are feelings. What are they? He's evil. Yes, he's evil. I'm glad he's gone. I found it very interesting to see his mother comment on all his cruelty and outbursts in the home. That was probably very embarrassing for her.
What did she say? Is that what she said? Her little Joshie doesn't act like that. She's never seen that scene. Outside the house. Oh, really? She doesn't know where that... She's shocked. I'm breaking down crying in front of the gerbil cage. I kept going, I don't even watch the show and that's funny to me. Matthew McConaughey might be playing Magnum P.I. Oh, come on. That's what they say, man. Alright, alright. I think that would be cool. You do? Yeah. Yeah, give them that big bushy mustache. Right? Detroit Tigers cap all stinky. The other thing that I mentioned earlier is that they're going to do a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in San Diego County, and it's going to be in El Cajon. Yeah, they say it's going to be Saturday night. Of course, they're not going to disclose the exact location because that's not El Cajon Boulevard. It's there every time. That's not how they operate. I've driven through it several times. They're trying to say, hey.
Just a little heads up. Be careful. Don't drink and drive, because we're going to get you. Good. They say it's not a joke this time. In fact, we don't report on rumor anymore. We try to, as much as we can, report on fact. And it looks like Beyonce and Jay-Z are officially getting hitched. Ooh. Yeah, according to pretty much every news source out there from, you know, MSN to People Magazine to whatever, Beyonce and Jay-Z got a marriage license. They filed for marriage license in New York on Tuesday. And according to New York law, that will be valid for two months. And, of course, their reps have no comment on the matter. Wow. So I guess in the next two months, we'll see. Let's see.
Somebody else got fired from UCLA Hospital for looking up celebrities' stuff, you know, in their computer system. It's brutal, man. Because it happened with Brittany, right? Like, 13 people were looking at her private files and they got canned? Yeah. And now what? Well, UCLA Medical Center says that they have fired another employee, this time for accessing Farrah Fawcett's medical record. Who's next? Bernie Capel? Yeah, not worth it. Yeah, and I guess that employee sold that information to the tabloids, so Farrah Fawcett hadn't even told her friends and family about her cancer, and it was all over the tabloids. Do you think somewhere right now in Sherman Oaks, Vic Tabak is like, great, great. Totally. P1 Cricket. Hi, Mikey. How you doing? Good. I think it's terrific that Cutlass is one of your new favorite bands. They're one of my favorite bands as well. Have you seen them live? I saw them on YouTube live. Yeah, they're awesome. They'll probably be at Spirit West Coast this year. They are going to be. Yeah, I hope you get a chance to see them there. I'm teaching myself bass guitar, and I played a Cutlass about three hours a day. There you go. And my fingers are bleeding. There you go. I'm doing the same with the Jonas Brothers. Really? Well, who isn't really? Trying to get into that. Who amongst us? Growing up my eyebrows. It's cool.
Are you really growing out your eyebrows? Yeah, I'm trying to get into the Jonas Brothers. Thanks, guys. Well, now I don't feel so weird because I've been growing them out, too. You know what I mean? It's called old age. Yeah, well, I keep growing them out and then dyeing them black like the Jonas Brothers. Yeah, it's cool. Really looks great. The girls love it these days. Yeah, they do. There's the Jonas Brothers now. Okay. They're so bad. How are you popular? There's so many. Like, why are they so popular? There's the woman I'm sexually attracted to. You can't see. Them and Hannah Montana, I'm telling you. So popular. I'm not gay. I never have been gay. Well, then why are you listening to the Jonas Brothers? Why are you wearing that? Senator, you know, stop. You know, you got it all over your iPod, is what I'm saying. He is a gay man. Oh.
Get it off of there, or you're going to get in trouble. And I mean it. No more Jonas Brothers for you, Senator. And that's that. Senator! That's what's happening, music. He can't help himself. He's got out a baby tee that says Jonas. I am Jonas Brothers. And that's Senator Larry, what's his name? He's really out of control. Looks like NBC has announced their fall schedule and they're going to do a spin-off, too. That's right. What is that? I know. Just let it be. Why? Where? Quit trying to make so much money. Yeah, lots of speculation. Like, are you just, like, selling out and trying to make lots of money, like Mike is saying? Of course. Or are there plans for The Office to go away? Yeah. Oh, man. Right? Come on. I bet you it's going to be Dwight.
I bet it is. Well, they can't take him off the office. But see, that's what I'm saying. Like, are they getting ready to maybe move away from the office? Like, Steve Carell maybe only wants to focus on movies, and so that's why they're going to try and launch a spinoff? That was one of my first thoughts. Could be. Eddie, have you ever seen the British version of The Office? Nope. I'm telling you, man, if I had a choice, I'd pick Ricky Jervis to play that character over Steve Carell. Definitely. He's funny. And the guy that plays the Dwight character on the English version, he's really a bizarre person. He looks bizarre. Whereas the character Dwight, it looks like they took an actor and they made him look real weird and nerdy. But that British version, the guy's creepy. So this new NBC spinoff is going to get a huge launch when they launch it following the Super Bowl. Whoa. Yeah, it'll be on right after the Super Bowl. NBC also announced yesterday that Saturday Night Live, they're going to do a weekday version of it in October.
called Thursday Night Live, which will be half-hour sketches, politically based. Why? Because there's just so much extra material left over from Saturday Night Live? It's so funny. They can't even be funny on one night a week. I know. It's because they go too long, don't you think? An hour and a half? Like, they don't have an hour and a half of good material. Five, ten minutes tops. That show, if they did a half-hour show called Saturday Night Live on Saturday nights, they could take the best bits and put them on. Good times, yeah. And then finally, the big announcement from NBC's press conference is that Friday Night Lights will be returning. Here's Kelly Pickler yesterday. Cut 25. She really likes Kelly Pickler. She's had her on a lot. Yeah. Does she like, like, or like? I'm just saying she likes her a lot. I think we know. She likes her a lot. I don't think I've ever heard Avril Lavigne interviewed. Ever. I mean, I know that, you know, I'm kind of annoyed by the, that sort of angry teenage image. But I don't know that I've ever actually heard her interviewed. And yesterday she was on live with Regis and Kelly Cut 41.
Tabloids have a lot of fun with you and try to have a lot of fun with you, right? But you got them the other day, didn't you? Tell us about that. Pop fiction, it's a show on E! that Ashton Kutcher is starting where they just have celebs kind of basically punk the media. What's this punk? Well, there have been some rumors that I was pregnant. What does that mean? I don't understand. I'm sure that happens to you, too, when you're not. Yeah, but I usually count. Yeah, to me. And so we kind of just... ran with that. Basically, all I did was go on Robertson Boulevard, which I'm sure you know is a very trendy street. Full of paparazzi. I never go there, but we did for the TV show. Shut up. Had a little baby bump and went to two baby stores. And it was confirmed that day that I was pregnant. It's so great. It was fun because we had a car and it was rigged with cameras and they embedded their own people in the paparazzi. Alright, thank you. Wow, that was... Blah, blah, blah. Man, that was tough. You know, I interviewed her one time. Come on, Ashley. You did? Mm-hmm. That's crazy. When? Where? It was back when I used to work for Channel 933 and they had her in and I did like a weekly bit where I'd like, it was like, where in the world is Sarah in San Diego? What did that mean? And I would like, well, every week I would do some, like make a little montage of me doing something and so that week it was me interviewing Avril. She came in and I got to ask her questions. Okay, so people didn't actually guess where you were. It was just,
This week she's at blah, blah, blah. Right. And I'd be at different places. And so I did like a speedy question asking her like, what's your favorite color? Have you, you know, skiing or snowboarding? What's your favorite movie? Harry or Lloyd? You know, like Esther. What was her personality like? Just blah, bland, unenergetic, unenthused, bored. Her favorite color is black. Hey, I want to hear this. The other day we were talking about. We were playing this clip of Hillary Clinton, and she was comparing herself to Rocky. Oh, yeah. And Eddie made a really good point. He's like, maybe somebody should tell her that Rocky doesn't win the fight, which I thought was brilliant. And so I don't know if anybody told Barack, but let's see what he says, because he talks about the Rocky comparison. Cut 21. I know there's been some talk about Rocky Balboa over the last couple of days. And you know, we all love Rocky. We all love Rocky. And last time I checked, I was the underdog in this state. So you know I like the Rocky story. But we got to remember, Rocky was a movie. And so is the idea that somebody can fight for working people and at the same time embrace the broken system in Washington.
Man, talk about a missed opportunity. Rock, boring. Well said. Come on, dude. Say something really cool. You know what I mean? Or, like, blow bubbles out of your nose. Come out and dress like Apollo Creed. That'd be cool. That'd be really cool. James Brown living in America. Do it, man. Barack. Five kids at an elementary school in Del Mar have tested positive four. I'll tell you when we come back. It ain't good. You guys get a lot of calls every morning that people pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean stuff. Every one of you are great. Thank you, man. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Starting to think about spring cleaning? Well, put up your feet and get up off the sofa because Uncle Cow is revving up.

I didn't know this until we actually sat down and talked with the people from Sunglass and Optical Warehouse, but you can actually burn your eyeballs. I didn't know that. Like, seriously. That didn't sound that good because it's not really her register. I'm sorry, Eddie. That was boys to men. I dare you. I dare you. I dare you.
Apologize. The Mikey Show continues. I'm on the rock. Now that it's all said and done, I can't believe you were the one. Build me up and tear me down. Like an old abandoned house. What you said when you were the one. Because I'd like to like this. I guess I do. I guess I do anyway. I can't help that. Jerk. Why do you suppose he wasn't a star before American Idol? Because he's got a really good voice. I don't know. Lots of people with good voices. He's not bad looking or anything like that. Well, yeah. There's lots of people like that out there. It's just, you know. Opportunity. Yeah. He just didn't have the opportunity. Right place, right time. He wasn't in a good band or anything. No. He kind of sounds like some people, though. Don't you think, though? Yeah. He's kind of got a very typical rock. He writes really good songs, though, because he writes them right. I guess. They're very catchy.
Some people don't like catchy songs. They like death metal. Underground rap. That's not necessarily catchy. It doesn't have a melody. It's just, you know, they like the overall tone or the feeling of it. Welcome back. My name is Mike. I go by Mikey on the air. And if you want to text us, go ahead, 35253 or call us, 5701053. What are we going to do? Did I say we were doing something? Yeah, the Del Mar kids. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Five kids at a Del Mar elementary school that got the chicken pox. Ooh. I had the chicken pox when I was a kid. Me too. I just put pink stuff on it. It wasn't fun. Did you too, Eddie, put pink stuff on it? I think so. It was like pink lotion. I was really little. It was lotion. It was some kind of lotion, and my mom dabbed it on it. Yeah. To me, it wasn't a real bad thing, but I guess it gives you a fever. Yeah.
You can get sick. I got a fever. I got a fever. And the only prescription is pink lotion. So the infected kids are at Sycamore Ridge Elementary School, like Mikey said, in Del Mar. Now, four of the kids actually had one of the two chicken pox vaccines. And one of the kids actually had both of the vaccines. But they say that the vaccine is never, you know, 100% in everybody. But it lessens the symptoms and they still recommend it. Jake got the flu last week. He'd had his flu shot. There's so many strains of the flu. That's the worst. I feel like I'm getting something in my chest. Get out of here. Eddie passes SARS on. I did not. I started with a cough. No, wrong. He's going to give it to his beautiful wife. She already has it. She already has it. She had the exact same thing I did. You two had nothing close to what I had. A little apple out on a plate. Yeah, that's right. Eddie's taking apples off paper plates. Yep, and we're going to capture him. Spreading that stuff. We're trying to catch him. To get the original strain. That's right. Every time we get to Eddie with a net, he runs too fast. We can't get him in there. Little girls drawing pictures of Eddie. That's right. Next thing you know, Dustin Hoffman's walking in here in a yellow suit. Yep. Awesome. Eddie's not entertained. Happens every time. This isn't funny to Eddie. Well, it's not my fault. It's not funny to me either.
Oh, no. Well, you guys should quit making out then, because I'll tell you what, you're going to hit that sucker pretty soon. Good luck, Ashley. Stop sneezing in her mouth. Okay, Rob. Wow. Hey, there's the outbreak monkey right now. Okay. There she is. Cute little devil. She's running around in a tuxedo. Look at that. How cute. Spitting in everyone's face. Spitting in everybody's turkey sandwich and spinning their car all night long. Let's still eat it. They just did a survey of rock radio listeners and they have figured out what their political affiliation is based on the music they listen to. Well, duh. It's Pam. Right? Ha ha, took it away. Oh, thank you, Rob. Oh, Rob, you took it away. Look what he replaced it with. Are you kidding me? She dragged me to a spin doctor. Dude, Spin Doctors and Bare Naked Ladies may be the two whitest bands. I mean, the whitest people in the world. Like when black people are making fun of white people, they're saying Bare Naked Ladies and the Spin Doctors. You may have to throw Soul Asylum in there. Yes. You might have to do it. Yes. I love the Spin Doctors. You don't see a lot of black guys going...
Man, we've got to catch that Spin Doctor show this weekend, man. What's up? When are Bare Naked's coming into town? What's up? Do you know the story with this guy? No. The lead singer for the Spin Doctor has, like, lost his voice. What do you mean? Like, for good? Yeah. Like, it's gone and he can't sing anymore. Come on. Yeah. I'll have to Google the deal, but... I remember hearing a story that he lost his voice. It's not like an urban legend, right? And he woke up and he lost his voice and said, welcome to the world of AIDS. It's not that. It's not like that, right? Why can't that happen to the bare naked lady? That's right. This guy's Googling right now. It's Paton. Let's see. I've given out all the good stories. I've talked about just about everything. Let's go home. Let's see. That's it? Sorry, Chad. Is that Chad Kroger or is that Chad Johnson that we're hearing? That's it? Oh, it's Chad Johnson. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Yeah, but actually I just want to go into this CHP story that we had here right now, Chad, if you don't mind. No. Oh, wow. Change the story then. There's a car dealer from Saquon. Well, he used to be a car dealer at Saquon. And this guy was in on a scam. So he's a car dealer, which you would think.
would be the most terrifying thing in the world to be involved in. Because they're constantly watching you. You would think, I know my personality. I would be, first of all, guilt-ridden, but second of all, I would be so terrified that I'm going to be caught. And this guy did it, and he got away with it for a long time. About $7 million worth. Holy cow, really? $7 million? Is that right, Skye? Yeah, there are about 19 members that were involved in this ring, but I guess this guy. was kind of the ringleader who would recruit dealers. And yeah, you're right, about $7 million, 16 different casinos. They would do things like false shuffle. That's really impressive to the woman that won Best Actress Academy Awards. Well, I'm speechless now. Well, it is pretty amazing. Really amazing what he did. Chunk of change. But yeah, they would bribe dealers to do false shuffles. I heard she was actually in love with this guy that was the dealer. Oh, really? You rock.
That's my life. Wow. That was her at his hearing. Yeah. So he pled guilty as part of a plea deal and will be sentenced in September. This is interesting. The Senate has agreed to draft a bill to help the housing crisis. What are you going to do? What are you going to do? Pay off my mortgage? They're crying. Yeah, they say things like funding to help borrowers avert foreclosure, helping to boost activity. Avert is a funny word. in neighborhoods where there are vacant properties, some business tax breaks, some loan stuff. So the Senate drafted that yesterday, and it will go to the full Senate for discussion today. I like lamp. True. Federal Reserve Chairman says that for the first time, there may be a recession possible. Yeah, that's the first time he's actually verbalized. So blown away by that. Breaking news. Yeah, we get it already.
Gas is really expensive, you guys. Don't buy it. It's so expensive. It is. What do you guys pay for gas? I paid $3.55 yesterday. Me too. The guy next to me was like, do we get a free soda with this? I was like, free soda? That's it? What are you talking about? I need dinner after this. Calm down, hothead. Get it, Rob. And all you can see, I'm very, very, very, very frustrated. Well... Roosevelt Zethian Oates Jr. Esquire III was saying the other day... What did he say? That it cost him like 50 bucks to fill up his tank, even though this guy did the math and it's physically impossible for that to have occurred. But he said it cost him about 51 bucks. How do you exaggerate sometimes? It's expensive to fill your tank. Dude, it cost me 60 yesterday. And normally, because I just got a new Honda and my V4 that I used to have, the Civic, would cost me 30 bucks. And I just got a Honda Accord V6 and it cost me 60 to fill up the tank. That's nuts, man. I thought you were going green. What happened? Yeah, green head. I didn't even think of that talk. Of course, it's a literal lot of talking. I am so glad you did that. Did you want me to respond? I was like everyone else did, so I'm just going to call you out. I'm devastated. Shame on you. Damn. I mean, do you want me to respond? I do. I got to hear an answer. Don't you know the children are a future? Yeah.
Treat them well and let them lead the way, Ashley. First you're destroying dog parks all over the place and now you're this. This is out of control. What's next? That's right. It's a conspiracy. So what's the deal, Ash? What? You want me to respond? Wow. Did you want me to respond? Yeah, you know, the gas mileage is exactly the same as the Honda, and the only difference is that it is a V6, but that would only entail if I'm, like, driving a lot and driving, like, on freeways a lot, and I don't drive a lot. In fact, the only time I drive, pretty much, is when I go to yoga or to work. Wait a second. So you're telling me that makes no sense. Mike, break it down for us. I don't understand. She's saying, listen, guys. Somebody explained it to her, and it didn't make sense. I'm going to try to understand. She's saying, guys, if I had gotten a hybrid... I would be using the same amount of gas, not driving on the freeway, that I use right now. So take that, stick it in your lunch pails, and take it to Al Gore. That's not accurate. Well, it doesn't seem accurate, but she's saying that that's a deal. Listen, if she had a hybrid and she drove it anywhere but the freeway, if she drove it on the freeway, it would make a difference. Right, Ash? I'm not listening. It would make a difference. I have no idea. I'm totally checked out. I would too if I were wrong. But keep going. But if you're not on the freeway,
I'm trying to defend you. I would ignore you too, Mike, if I were destroying the planet. I'm trying to defend. I can't hear you through all the smog. I can't hear you through that styrofoam cup you're drinking out of. I'm so sorry, Ashley. I didn't mean to. What is this? As we speak. Delicious. Hey, but go green, everybody. Yeah, come on. You're telling me a big fat look. This will make us feel better. This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a good start of my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. Mr. Naselton, tell me what's bothering you. Well, as a young nose, things were tougher for me than for the other noses. Runny nose, congestion. Did you say noses? Yep, I'm a nose. Nose. I see. I've been listening to Mikey's show for a while, and I've been hearing AIS this, AIS that. So I called him up two nights ago, and the guy told me that he wasn't going to be able to probably not meet my deal with my current insurer. So he called AIS. They said, we don't think we could probably do better. He said he probably couldn't, but he beat him by 50 bucks. Nice. So I'm saving $584.12 a year with these guys. I have a great driver's record, you know. That's pretty awesome, dude. Yeah, they did it. That's pretty awesome. See, so the AIS thing is for real. Yeah, definitely. You know, I didn't know what to believe, but I called them up just in case, and it's working. There you go. Thank you, Justin. All right. Well, thanks, Mikey. I really appreciate it. I appreciate you letting me know, dude. All right. Anybody that wants in on that can do it.

And it's kind of like in Lord of the Rings when they have to say just the perfect thing to get the door to open. And all I know is that through the course of trying different things... You got to do it in Elvish. He's never even said it. Never even heard it. Let's see. Cal's also interested in Bill Greer. Yeah, dude. He's a hot commodity right now. A lot of people are liking what he did in that tournament. I guess so, man. So Cal might hire him. We'll see. I don't know if you guys know this. They found some bones in a suitcase near the railroad tracks in Oceanside.
They think that a chiropractor owned them. Yeah, it was really weird. It happened March 27th and a railroad employee saw this suitcase there and was like, what the heck? And opened it up and there were bones in it. And so they've since then been trying to figure out what it's all about. And they say they believe it's owned by a chiropractor and they don't know how long they've been there or why they ended up there. So they're still trying to figure it out, but not foul play like they first thought. Our text number is 35253. This text message says, Mikey, black people also hate Devo. I don't blame them. Mikey, please tell Ashley you are a great lady. Thanks for making me laugh. P1 goat meal. Thanks for making me laugh. Goat meal. Yeah. It's goat meal. Yeah, oyster. This one says, just so Ash knows, an accord gets 22 city, 31 highway.
Yeah, that's right. Civic gets 26 city, 34 highway. Also, they make the accords with hybrids. Go green. Yeah, right. Signed P1 Dog Park. Oh. Ouch. Uh-oh. So I'm right. That one's going to leave a mark. You could have got a hybrid. Well, no, they were saying that your Civic got better gas mileage. Civic got better gas mileage. According to that person. Yeah. We don't know. Which is probably true. We don't know that, Eddie. But why would you go from a, if you're green, if you're greeny-meany, why would you go from a car that got 22 to a gallon and go to 26? Why would you do that if you're all greeny-meany? So do my solar panels not count on my house? Not when you're driving, no. How does that make you drive better? Unless you can somehow stick them on the motor. So because of the fact that I drive a Honda and it's one of the best gas mileage cars in the world, does that do nothing for you, Mike? Not really. Not when you're drinking out of a styrofoam cup. Oh, no. Ouch. When you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. That's what I've been telling you for like a year and a half. Also, a.k.a. I'm sitting in silent. In silent? Also known as? Rami Alili got kicked off American Idol last night. No.
And Mr. Alili has been on the show since the very beginning, as you know. You are not watching this here. Ramile. Ramile. The Romulans? Hamile. How do you say his name? It's a girl. I know. I'm just playing around. Yeah, you are. Cut seven. After the nationwide vote, Christy, you are safe for another week. Oh, great. That means Rami Yellow. That's out. That sucks. She deserved it. I hated her. Who do you guys really like besides David Archuleta? I like Carly. Jason Castro all the way. Get out. He's my favorite. He's my favorite. I want him to win. He's the worst. He's so good. He's the worst. I love him. He's got very, very feminine skin. Really pretty. Amazing. Yeah, it's like the skin of a 12-year-old. You can't sing a lick.
He's so good. Oh, he's opposite of good. Oh, bro, you're tripping. You're straight tripping. I heard that Simon Cowell said that the girl from San Diego, the Irish girl, said that her clothes looked real stupid on the night before. Brutal, man. And he stood by it, cut five. After watching the show back last night, did you think that you were right with all the contestants? Yes. Yes. Absolutely. And by the way, listen, just picking up on what I said to you about your clothes, I was only trying to help. I was, because I think, you know, you need to see a progression. I really, really like you. I just didn't think you looked as good as you should have done, because you're very cute. Okay, thank you. Okay, there's a line. Let's not cross it. Oh, that's hard to listen to. Look at these faces, though. Let's focus for a second on these three. A line. Let's try not to cross it. P1 Sandy. Sandy. Sandy.
Hola, it's my birthday today. Happy birthday. It's like happy birthday. Question for Eddie. How old are you? 37. There you go. I'm 37 years young. That's right. Prime of your life, kid. Eddie, I got a question for you. For the past two days, I've cut the tail end of this. Did you say something about Coach Riley leaving from Oregon State? He's not. No, no. Okay. in basketball, Bill Greer is up for the Oregon State head coaching job there and at Cal. Okay. So it's the basketball program of Oregon State thinking about leaving to Cal State. Wait, no, not even close. The USD head coach is a hot commodity right now that Oregon State and Cal are both looking to hire him as their new head coach in basketball. Oh, okay, okay. All right. Thank you. I almost gave my friends a heart attack because their son is the quarterback at Oregon State, and they really like, you know, Riley. Yeah. And they're like, no, he can't. That would be very bad if he left. Stop spreading rumors. That's right. I'm sorry. Thank you for calling. Thanks. You guys have a good day. Bye. So I had to install Norton antivirus on my father's computer, and he's awed by everything a computer does. Mm-hmm.
calculator on there. That guy's the best. That's right. He's not as cool as Sean's t-shirt today, but he's... That's right, bro. Not much is. Yeah. He's wearing a Superman t-shirt. Sean has a weird t-shirt. I know it. Why is he wearing a Superman t-shirt? He doesn't really wear a t-shirt. He's going through like a midlife thing. Is that what it is? I think it is. Are you driving a Mustang? I like Superman. That's right. He's going to start growing his hair long, putting it in a ponytail. If Superman did, I would. That's right. That's right, Shawnee, old boy. Ashley, what is yoga? I don't actually know what yoga is. What is it? Well, Ash says she goes to yoga. But I don't really know what it is. Whenever I think of yoga, I think of like, you know...
people sitting Indian style. Bunch of hippies. Yeah, you know? But I don't know what it is. I know people can, like, get in shape from it, but I'm like, I thought you were just sitting cross-legged, like, getting, you know, like, going, oh. Stretch, stretch, and fart, mate. What? Oh, Sigma, Doug. But what is it actually? Yoga, well, there's different types, but the type that I do is, I do it in a heated room. It's 95 degrees. And depending on which class I take, I'll either take a C2, which is the intermediate yoga. So you'll do intermediate positions. It's a lot of balancing, a lot of breathing, and it's extremely hard. That's why I lost 20 pounds. Like, yoga changed my life. Stand up and show me a yoga thing. Well, like, one is like the eagle, right? And then sometimes I do sculpt, so it's with weights, too. So what she'll have us do is she'll have us... She's standing up. Which is like, you have to be, like, you're sitting in a chair, but you're not.
So it's hard. It's all in your thighs. Yeah. And you can put your arms up like this, and it's all in the core. So the whole time you're breathing and the whole time you're flexing everything because it's all balanced in the core. Skye, do you do this? Yeah. You did too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So then you move into, let's say, the eagle. So if you've got weights, right, you've got maybe two five-pound weights. So you move into the eagle, which is... Where you cross your leg over. Why is it cracking rod up so much? So you're in a sitting position in the air. Then you cross your leg all the way over so that your ankle is wrapped around your bottom calf. And then you take your hands. But it's not aerobic. And you go like that. And you keep it. It's all stretching stuff. It's all stretching. But it's so intense that it gets your heart pumping. It is cardio in a way. You have to hold this. And then you turn this baby weights. Then she'll have us be balancing in the eagle. In the sitting position, everything's burning. And then you're doing the weights. And then you're doing this. So your heart is pumping because you're in a position that hurts. What about the salamander? And then you also do repetition of the movements, which also gets the heart pumping. Dog with old man's face? But it changed my life because it's not just working out. Do the farting sneeze. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous.
I mean, grow up already. I just made my week. Holy mackerel. Holy. I had no idea what it was. Changed my life, mate. All I thought it was was sitting in the inside, honestly. That's all it really is, dude. Yeah, that stuff's so good for you. I saw in the news last night that, like, a new study came out showing if you do Tai Chi, it can help if you have, like, diabetes. Go to bostonrob.eat. Yeah, we got it. You can get my whole yoga routine on there. Right, we got it. For a six-pack and a couple of the packs of smokes, I'll show you Tai Chi, Chi Tai. Are you drunk right now? Like, shut up. Hello. She's got so much hate now. Yeah, I was calling because actually yoga are spiritual practices. Yoga are spiritual practices? Yes. Oh, do you pray when you do it, Ashley? Do you say stuff? We have an opening and an ending. Like, yeah, you'll do like meditation in the beginning and ending of every class. Isn't it like Hindu or something? No. No, it's, I mean, it is something that's Hindu. It's actually derived from the Jainists. Hey, watch your mouth. Man. Medical. Start talking about that part of the body. Oh, it is like a bowel movement. Mikey's show. So good. Hello. Hello, this is Jay. I was told to call Max.
Oh, this guy's been calling all morning. He said he had a funny story. Not so funny. But if you want to hear it, you want to hear it. He told you the story because I'm just taking open phones. We got to get out of here. 5701053. We'll do open phones. Then we got to go. But Rob apparently tried to screen. Well, Rob did effectively screen this person out, but he's been calling back. Now he's actually made it on the air. And he has a tough time getting the story out. But give him a shot. All right. Let's give it a shot. What do you got, sir? Hey, hello, is this the Mikey Show? Yep, there it is, folks. Rob, good job. There it is. Give that man a raise. You know, sir, it is Rob's job to screen people out if they can't get to their point real fast. You know what I mean? Oh, it's brutal. Well, hey, I'm just calling because you guys were on the topic earlier about cigarette smoking. And I had a pretty damn good story about why you should quit. Okay. And it begins with the story of... Oh, my God. That was pretty tough. Good job. There it is. Back in the day, there was Cakeman. That's right. And the tobacco gin came along. Mikey show. The reason Ashley's into yoga is spread eagle.
Oh, get it. Get it. That was hurtful, sir. So juvenile. That's not true. Eddie likes self-mark jokes. I do, too. Sorry, it's funny. Mikey Show. Hey, what up, Mikey? It's 2-1 Ponce. How you doing? Good, man. Hey, I was reading online last night about how Jacuzzi from American Idol is going to go into the Jacuzzi Club business, and he'd like to offer Sky and the Bunny Boo lifetime membership. All right, well, this has been a great segment of Open Phones. I'm going to try one more. I think we can make up. Don't push it. About that, I'm good. About that. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey. What's up? I just wanted to see if Sky was going to that home and garden show this weekend. What? How dare you? I saw a commercial for it and I'm like, if Bunny Boo gets wind of this, we're going to be there all weekend. Tell them to call me. Let's go. What do they do? Do they sell like garden houses and stuff? Yes. Probably fountains. Didn't you go to one? Isn't that where you like got your spa or something? We got that at the fair. But wasn't that a home and garden show at the fair? It was a big building that had a bunch of spas in it. Yeah. It was like the spa building.
It's exactly the same? Kind of, just bigger. Yeah. That sounds like a really good time. Sky, what time are we leaving? Thank you for the call. The lovely and talented Missy is up next. I don't know anything else you want to talk about. I don't, Chad, but thank you for joining us today. That's it? That's it. That's Chad Johnson. He's been sitting on hold the entire show long. Really appreciate you coming on, though, Chad. We gotta go. No! Today, Missy has The Lost and Found, songs you haven't heard in a long time. We'll see you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. I like your shows out late. Love your mouth.
