Sean explained how a station-posted video of Randy Rhodes insulting Hillary Clinton triggered a suspension, legal cleanup, and an argument over whether off-air conduct should cost a host her job. Boston Rob described police compassionately warning his troubled younger brothers, while Skye retold her painful fall downstairs and the cast celebrated an upcoming P.O.D. studio performance with a rowdy Battle of the Sexes quiz. Francis Rostick and Audrey Lachance debated freeway flirting with the hosts, and Mikey and Skye sharply disagreed over Thomas Beattie's pregnancy, gender identity, and whether the Oprah appearance was respectful or sensational. The show also covered Naomi Campbell's Heathrow arrest and mocked Hillary Clinton's sniper-fire story before Mikey closed with a personal argument that forgiveness, faith, and hope freed him from resentment and alcohol addiction.
What happened, in order
Randy Rhodes video fallout
Sean described spending a day with lawyers trying to remove video of Randy Rhodes insulting Hillary Clinton after Air America suspended her and threatened its affiliate.
Boston Rob's brothers
Boston Rob said police intervened with his younger brothers, then stayed to speak compassionately about the dangerous path they were following and their chance to change.
Naomi Campbell arrested
Skye reported that Naomi Campbell erupted over a missing bag at Heathrow Airport, then allegedly spat at and swung at police before being arrested.
P.O.D. studio show
Mikey announced that P.O.D. would perform in the station's studio the following Wednesday for 20 contest winners.
Skye falls downstairs
Skye recounted slipping in thin ballet-style slippers, sliding down five or six stairs, straining her arm and back, and debating whether the scare justified crying.
Battle of the Sexes
Chantel, Ashley, and Skye faced Sean, Boston Rob, and Eddie in a teasing trivia contest that Team Awesome won after questions about cars, sports, cosmetics, television, and movies.
Dream band lives
The cast chose fantasy band roles, with Mikey picking P.O.D., Eddie choosing Van Halen, Skye choosing Fleetwood Mac, Sean choosing Depeche Mode, and Ashley choosing No Doubt.
Freeway flirting
Dating writers Francis Rostick and Audrey Lachance promoted low-stakes car flirting and resilience after rejection while the hosts argued that roadside attention often feels creepy.
Thomas Beattie debate
After playing Oprah Winfrey's interview with pregnant transgender man Thomas Beattie, Mikey and callers disputed his identity while Skye argued that love and personal freedom deserved respect.
Sniper-fire satire
The hosts mocked Hillary Clinton's Tonight Show joke about her false sniper-fire account, and the recurring Barbara character absurdly credited Clinton with inventing everything from rat traps to Blu-ray.
Forgiveness and hope
Mikey compared resentment to carrying stolen money, connected his own unresolved pain to alcoholism, and said faith in Jesus gave him hope and changed his life.

Mayor Sanders and mayoral candidate Francis debated last night and disagreed on everything from the budget to the Chargers. All he had to do was get back on that horse. He returned to the mound yesterday, got the save, as the Padres beat the Astros 3-2. It's one of those deals, you know. I woke up, and when I first woke up this morning, it felt terrible. But as the morning goes on, I feel better. And let me tell you something. Eddie told me about a lifesaver. I love those things for the shower. Oh, those shower soothers? Oh, man, do I love those things. Wow. They were good. I never heard of them before Eddie told me about them. They are these little things that look like an Alka-Seltzer. And you stick them in the shower, and when the hot water hits them, then these vapors come up, and they make you feel better. Yeah, they dissolve in the shower while you're taking the shower.
And it clears up your sinuses. Sky, you tried them too? No, but I remember specifically when Eddie talked about it and remembered making a mental note saying next time I get a cold, I am going to use that product and then forgot about it until you just said it. It's called Shower Soothers. And you can just buy them like anywhere at the drugstore? Okay, I got to get me some of that. They even have different flavors, you know? Good scents. They got nice scents. But it immediately clears your nose. Oh, I love it. You can breathe almost immediately. It's really great. 570-1053 is our phone number. My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37 years old and watched my son last night. And I do this every night. I watch him from four to six. But last night, my wife went out with all the ladies. Oh, ladies night. It was ladies night for my mom's birthday because my mom's birthday is today. Awesome. That's right. And she doesn't know how old she is. That's a true story. She doesn't know how old she is. We think she's 70. We think. But we really don't know. She doesn't know what year she was born? She doesn't know what year she was born. And in order to know, we'd have to have her birth certificate, which we don't have. Why? I don't know. I don't know why I've never asked. Maybe I have and I'm forgetting.
But anyway, so we don't know how old she is. But today is her birthday. And so all the ladies went out last night. Cool. And so I had to give Jake a bath and put him to bed, which I was kind of stressing out about, you know, because I'm not that good at that stuff. And as it turned out, that was the best part of the night. Really? Yeah, because the rest of it was so crazy and bad. He's going through a stage. He cannot be away from her. Or he flips out, man. And he doesn't have the flu anymore, but he still doesn't feel that great. And so because he doesn't feel that great, he's just, he wants to be attended to at all times. And so I was trying. I was doing my best and he wasn't having it. Let's see. Let's go around the room, introduce everybody. And we got a lot of people hanging out in the studio today. Monday, Friday. That's right. Eddie is our producer. He's our sports guy. He is 34 years old, but he'll be 35 next week. Oh my gosh, Eddie. On Tuesday. How do you feel? Not good. Come on. Come on. I usually don't care about getting older. This one is... Really? It's got in my head a little bit. It has. Just a little bit. Not too much. For me, I remember that too. I remember I didn't like being 35.
Why? Because it really meant that when you were 34, you reminded yourself of that still. In fact, it was kind of hip. You're in your 30s and it's kind of cool. Well, you're closer to 30 than you are to 40. Yeah. Now. There's something about turning 35 that really reminds you of the number 40. Something really very present about the number 40 when you turn 35. Then once I passed 35, I thought, okay, it doesn't matter now. It's all downhill. It's okay. Complete and utter acceptance. Thank goodness we're hot, Eddie. Yeah, that's the truth. You look good, Eddie. You know what I'm saying? It is accurate. Skye's our news girl. Curly hair. She's got that thing on her head. I love that thing. It's called a headband, Mike. It's called a headband. I just recently found out. Yep, it's not that thing. It's black. And how long has that been around? Have women been doing that forever? Yeah, but it goes in and out of style, the headband being cool and the different kind of headband. Back in the day, it was the real cheap plastic headband that you would wear, but now it's these cloth thick ones that you wear. So yeah, but it's good times when the hair is all frizzed out and you don't want to do it. You just throw one of these suckers on. I vote to keep it around. Oh, well, thank you. That's my vote. Okay.
Sean is our sound effects guy. Hi. He's 38 years old. Get on the camera, Sean. Yeah, Sean, can you adjust that camera for us? I can't see you, you sucker. That's all right. Oh, there he is. He's so handsome. Oh, wow. Look at him. You put the camera down just a tiny bit for us, Sean, your boy. Just a tad. We'd like to see the chin, too. What's that? No, an opposite. You didn't do anything. You didn't really do anything. Nope, nothing's happening. You could actually just turn that. No, Sean, you're going to go in the opposite direction. How about now? That's Shawnee, oh boy. My friends. He's got an interesting personality. He is very different. That is one thing you could say about him. He had a pretty interesting day yesterday. Really? That's right. Well, here's the deal. There is a piece of audio that we have today. And it is of a female. named Randy Rhodes, not the guitar player for Ozzy Osbourne. It is not that Randy Rhodes who is no longer on planet Earth, but her name is Randy Rhodes and she got suspended from Air America, which I didn't think existed anymore, but apparently it does. It's a liberal, left-wing, talk, syndicated talk network. And, you know, they are all over the United States. Anybody that,
has the guts to put them on the air. We had them on the air here for a while. And it was kind of like an experiment. How'd it go, Mike? Well, the grass didn't grow. Well, anyway, there's this... First of all, let me play you the clip. It's a YouTube video. And Randy Rhodes has been suspended. And this is what happened. Cut five. Okay, so... It's hard to understand, but she's calling Hillary a whore. And she's putting a bad word before that word. And so it's not going over very well. And she got suspended for it. And Sean says that that was actually a station event. What station, Sean? KKGN, Mike. Is that a talk show or what? A talk radio station in San Francisco? Yeah, liberal talk radio. It's liberal talk radio.
When was the event? The event was last weekend. Wow. And Sean spent yesterday dealing with the legal department for Clear Channel to get that taken down off YouTube. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, it was our station event. She came out and met with a bunch of listeners. And we had this video, and we put it online. And I don't know what they were thinking at that station, but... You know, they put this stupid video up. Someone downloaded it and put it on YouTube and then it took off from there. So yesterday we were spending all day long trying to get it taken down from YouTube because Air America is threatening to pull their contract from our radio station if we don't get that video off of the internet immediately. Oh, no. Wow. What day part is she? Afternoon drive. Wow. Yeah. How old a woman? She's like... She's probably about 40 now. She's really good. She's good at what she does. The weird thing to me is she gets suspended. They suspended her for like a month. She gets suspended not for something she does on the air and not for something that she does on company time. It's something that she did on her own time with an affiliate radio station that was not even on the air. It seems very strange to me. And that's not... Okay, but wouldn't that be the same as...
One of us getting in trouble for doing something that made the radio station look bad. Because I mean. Like. Because in most contracts, doesn't it? There's some sort of clause about how your. If it's detrimental. If your behavior is detrimental to the success of the company. Can reflect negatively on the station. Exactly. That you can get in trouble. Yeah. And if I'm on. If I'm on. If I'm out at a public event for our sister radio station. And. I don't know. I'm saying stuff about... I'm just trying to use an analogy. I'm saying something about the general manager of the station. And I say something really nasty. You know, with some real cuss words and the whole deal. I'm thinking maybe they could suspend me because it's just... It's hurting them. It's hurting them because everybody's in an uproar about it and they think that your company's bad and now they want to...
Boycott your advertisers and stuff like that. Who knows? I don't know what they were saying with Randy Rhoads. Why was the pressure so harsh, Sean? Because Air America is in bed with the Democratic Party. Got it, got it, got it. And they said, listen, we're out of here if you don't get this off YouTube. I get it. I get it. So that's a pretty big deal. Sounds like you had a fun one, Shawnee. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 24 years old. And every once in a while, I like to ask her this question. What did you have for dinner last night? Funny you should ask. I cooked for myself last night. Oh, no. A couple nights a week, the honey and I will spend the night apart, you know, and he'll catch up with his friends, and I'll hang out with my dog. And so I got, you know, home from yoga and whipped up a delicious garlic bokeh burger, put a slice of... Now, what is that, garlic bokeh burger? What is that? It's...
It's a vegetarian burger, bokeh burger. Pre-made. Pre-made, yes. In a box? Yep, and they're all like individual plastic wrappers. And it's real easy. All you do is, it's like a soy burger, but all you do is you put a little slit in the wrapper, and then I just will even stick a little piece of cheese, a little American craft cheese right in there, and then put it in the microwave. Right, it's real good, Eddie, with the boca. And I put it in the microwave and I heat it up. And then I supplement the bun for a low-carb garden veggie tortilla. And I only use half the tortilla. And I toasted it in the oven because I was baking cookies too. Like after I ate, I was going to bake some cookies. So preheated the oven and just to toast it real quick, I threw the tortilla in the oven just to toast it while I was preheating. It's called killing two birds with one stone. That's what I'll say. So then I put a little ketchup mustard with the boca. Garlic Boca Burger and the low-carb tortilla and then a little dollop of non-fat cottage cheese on the side. Real good. Wow. That is so foul. And voila. Wow. Bon appétit. Yeah, not so much. Then you eat it. And you have to eat it after you eat it. No, no, no, no. Down the hatch. Down the hatch. Let's see. Boston Rob is our phone screener. He is also a singer-songwriter and
And he has the word Boston tattooed in Old English on his neck. Right on my throat. Right on his throat. That's right. And Rob has had a very, very dramatic last 12 hours. Right, Rob? Very long, very dramatic. Not fun. Tilling with the police. Uh-oh, the po-po. But it wasn't you. You didn't get in trouble. Not this time, Mike. Who was it this time? My brothers, my younger brothers. Oh, no. You know, they're good kids. They're going through tough times. We haven't had the easiest past five, ten years. And things, I guess, are building up. And it's getting to a breaking point where, you know. I actually went through this kind of on the show, you know. I missed work for jail. And there were two roads I could choose from. I hope they do what you did. Thank God I did what I did. And all I try to do is show these boys, like. what i went through where i came from you know like how i'm i was on that path and i kind of turned it all around and you know now i'm here but when you're 19 20 you're thinking you're invincible you're a little more hard-headed they don't like seeing their 25 year old brother playing the father but that's the role that i've stepped into whether i like it or not but
Well, the thing is, is that I've talked to other people about Boston Rob many times because he really is and should be, for a lot of people that are his age, pretty inspirational for what he did with his life. It should not have gone the way it did go. He's really turned it around. And Rob was a mess, man. He was a mess. And he turned it around. And he did it through... trusting god and he also did it through some real like uh discipline yeah there's some real hard discipline just when i can't handle things i let god take the reins and the things that i do have control over you just you got to be disciplined yeah because i was drinking six seven nights a week i was stopping my night at three sobering up till four and coming to work yep you know yeah i don't
He's turned it around, and a lot of it has to do with just who he is. He's just got really good character, you know? And so, well, listen. It's tough, though, you know, because I want to save them from it, but at the same time, they've got to go through it. I'll tell you what. The police thing may be the best thing for them. I've had a lot of run-ins with the law, and the majority of the time, I'm not fans of the cops afterwards. Last night, these cops were saints. They talked to us like real people, you know, and actually, because after the whole ordeal went down, you know, and they were starting to leave, I said, I asked one of them, I said, hey, can I rap with you for a minute? So just to talk with you, you know, just human to human, guy to guy. And both police stayed there for another half hour, talked with me. Wow. Both my brothers came outside and they just kind of said, hey, we've been around this. We see this, you know, on the regular. And the road that you're heading down is a bad one. And they kind of give my little brother an inspirational speech. And we just said, hey, tomorrow's a new day. You can start everything over. So I'm praying and hoping that he gets through this boy's head that he can turn it around. Because I'd do anything for them. But you've got to let them grow up on their own. Well, I hope that they turn it around, man. They're good kids. Finally, ladies and gentlemen.
Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates III, Jr., Esquire. How can he be the third and junior? Well, his father, I don't know, multiple personalities? There it is. That's a good question. How do you reconcile that? But anyway, it's nice to have you here today, Zethian. Thank you. How are you doing? Well, how are you? I'm good. Yes. Is there anything new going on in your life? Well, I got my dog spayed yesterday, which was like a huge ordeal because she was in a lot of pain last night. I lost a lot of sleep over it. I have a huge soft spot for animals. I know Sean's kind of the same way when it comes to that. And it just sucked. It hurt my heart because she was in pain. She couldn't tell me. It kind of gave me a better understanding of what parents go through. I was thinking about you specifically, Mike. That's it.
I know Jake couldn't tell you what's wrong, and you just want to make it feel better. I mean, obviously not as intense as, you know, a father-son thing, but it still sucked. Yep. Yeah, people, let me tell you, kids and pets, man. 570-1053 is our phone number, and now that we've gotten the bummer stuff out of the way, let's get funny. Yes, let's do that. 570-1053, as you know, The Mikey Show is a reality show on the radio, so we always share with you what's going on in our lives, and that's that. 570-1053 is our phone number, and you can text us at 35253. That's right, if you want to. Text us any time you want. And we have winners in the studio that are hanging out with us. We got, since it's Friday, what do you call it, Ash? Fun Day Friday. But since it's Fun Day Friday, then we have people that get to come into the studio. So the following people are hanging out with us today. We got Derek, and where is Derek?
Hey, Derek, how you doing, man? I'm doing right here. And Derek, guess what Derek does for a living? What? He's a diamond grater. Wow. So you look at diamonds through one of those little eyepieces? Is that the deal? Yeah. And you look for impurities. Yes. And then are you the guy that goes, I now certify this VS or something? There you go. Did they ever fall into your pocket? I'm just asking. I don't know. Do they ever end up in your beehive hairdo as you're coming back to the Pittsburgh airport? And then Nikki Santoro says to you, is that it? Think you're forgetting some of those in there? Happens sometimes. Anyway, that's P1 Derek, and he is a diamond grader. P1. There's Matt. Matt's 22. He won P1 trivia. He's in the military. Nice to have you here. We also have...
My friend Heather is in the studio. Heather, how you doing? She works over at the Expo Design Center. Oh, hello. That's right. Good person to know. Nice to meet you. Yes. Let's be best friends. Yeah. And she's engaged. I have notes on you that says that your ring doesn't fit anymore. No, I love what it looks like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So what do you do? You haven't had it resized? No, I guess. Yeah. It's not here. Yeah. Yeah, I think they can, but it's a costume. Just get fat. Yeah, gain some weight, will you? There you go. finger. And finally, P1 Neato. Ashley says, why not try it on your thumb? That's right. Exactly. P1 Neato, where are you? Neato, how you doing, man? Is it NATO? NATO. Okay, I gotcha. And you're in the military too, right? Marine? Yep. How was the boot camp process? Did it kill you?
In hindsight, it wasn't nearly as bad as what you think it is. Really? I don't want to do it. It may not be as bad as I think it is, but I don't want to do it. I'll tell you that. Hey, Rob, did we figure out what the deal is with the monitor? We got problems again in the studio. Get out. Well, what else is new? Mikey Show, hello. It's Mikey, bro. What's up? Hey, I just want to let you know I did end up getting my P1 Army tattoo. Really? Yes, I did. Nice. Where did you get it? Where did it go? It went on my left calf. It's a huge, it's a big P1. It's about three and a half, four inches. P1, and then right through the middle of it, it says Army. You know, those things don't wash off, you know. They don't? That is so awesome. Yeah, those things stay on there, you know. Send us a picture of it. Yeah, dude, send a picture. All right, I'll send you guys some pictures. Right on. Rad. All righty, guys. Cool, man.
That's tough to do. Those things will stay there forever. When he's 81 years old, his grandkids will be like, what's a P1, Grandpa? What does that mean? 570-1053 is the phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones, so call in about anything you want to. It's completely and totally up to you. So last night, mayoral debate. Do we know, does anyone know, is it November that we vote for mayor just like we do the president? Of the United States? Do we even know? I got no clue. I don't either. Who knows? But anyway, last night they were debating. And here's Steve Francis slamming the mayor about his economic plan. Cut 69. The mayor says he has a plan for five years. That plan has a $308 million hole. It's a forecast. It's not a plan. And there is absolutely no plan, no suggestions, no solutions that's been put forward to close the $308 million deficit. Oh, so real quick, the election will be June 3rd, but if no single candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, then the top two candidates will be on the November ballot. It all rings a bell now. Yeah, there it is. It's that Donna Fry thing that went down. Bengals cut Chris Henry. There it is. There it is. Well, ninth time was a charm. And they finally had enough and said, all right, we're done with you. Can you believe that? It's crazy.
Do you know how many times he was really arrested? I don't know the exact number, but it has to be close to double digits. Didn't somebody call him a one-man crime spree or something like that? Yeah, for real. It's brutal. I mean, that guy was in trouble a lot. I can't believe it took that long. Seriously. Well, he's got talent. That's how the NFL operates. When you have talent, they will forgive just about anything. Let's see. 100 passengers on a cruise ship. Don't do it, Mike. I'm telling you. Don't do it. 100 passengers aboard a cruise ship headed for Hawaii were sick. It left from San Diego and it returned to San Diego. Yes, it was a 15-day cruise to Hawaii. Sounds wonderful. Aloha. Aloha, yeah. Definitely.
No. You can't do anything about it. If somebody has planned a vacation for like four months or something, and then the vacation is getting closer, and they know that the vacation is going to take place in two days, but they have the flu, most people will not forego the experience. No way. They will say to themselves, oh, I'll sack it up. I won't ruin the vacation for my wife. So, and they're not taking into consideration the hundreds of passengers on board. With the gastrointestinal goodies. That's right. My voice is so low with this cold. And then, and then this is what happens. Because many of you are wondering, well, how does it spread? Is everyone making out? No, no, that's not the deal. They're not making out. What they're doing is they're using the community syrup container. Stop it.
You shut your thumb out. You know, in the morning, they get some nice hotcakes. Oh, yummy. And then they go over where they got the big, giant thing of syrup. Oh, sounds good. And they grab it, and they put all that nice syrup all over the hotcakes. And then somebody else goes, and they put syrup on the hotcakes. And then after they put the syrup on the hotcakes, they go... to their nose with their hand where they had just, you know, touched the thing. And now they've got it. You move down the line, you pick up the tongs for the little pastries. Oh, those are good. Yes, you do. Put the tongs back down. Put the tongs back down and then you go with your finger where you were holding the tongs and then suddenly you've got a problem. Herpes. Not herpes. It is not that you have herpes. Holland American says that they did a super sanitation of the boat, which was actually because the boat got in yesterday morning at 8 a.m. and then was supposed to start boarding passengers again at 11 a.m. for another cruise to Hawaii. But they had to delay the boarding until about 2 o'clock so they could do their super sanitation. And people got on the ship at 2 o'clock and left yesterday afternoon for Hawaii again. So hope they scrubbed it down good.
I have an idea, but it would always end in lawsuits, so it would never work. But my idea would be that you have Doc, you know, like Doc from The Love Boat. You have Doc. And when you go through the process of getting on the boat, Doc takes a quick look at you. And if you're symptomatic, I'm sorry, you can't get on board. But that would result in about a billion lawsuits. You know what I mean? Because one thing you can't do is if you have a knife in your pocket, you can keep it in your pocket and it can be pretty well hidden. Cold in your face. It's hard to mask. Yeah, but then you look at a guy like Rob who always looks sickly. Oh, that's a great point. That's a good point, Eddie. It's not sick. I look thin. Thin, man. 570-1053 is our phone number. Give us a call. We'd love to talk to you and see what's going on. We got a lot of cool stuff coming up for you. We have a big announcement just after 7 a.m., and I mean, it's a big announcement. When we come back, I don't know if you know about this, but Naomi Campbell was arrested yesterday. Again? Yes, exactly.
She was arrested yesterday. And when we come back, I'm going to play you some audio and I'm going to explain to you what she got arrested for. About a month ago, the World Cup was going on. I enjoy any sporting event where nations get involved. I find that the most exciting. The Olympics is really my favorite sporting event. Although I think I have a problem with that silver medal. I think if I was an Olympic athlete, I would rather come in last than win the silver. If you think about it, you know, you win the gold, you feel good. You win the bronze. You think, well, at least I got something. But you win that silver. That's like, congratulations. You almost won. Of all the losers, you came in first of that group. You're the number one loser. No one lost ahead of you. You don't even know what stupid it is. The Mikey Show is on. It's about to get.

Except once you get into Carmel Valley here, just near that 5805 split, somebody lost a couple of longboards and stuff. Unfortunately, they're like coming apart now as people keep hitting those. So use some caution there. That could do some heavy damage on your car as well. Once again, that's southbound 5, just past the 56. And South 15, getting down into the South Bay, there's an accident at that 805 here in National City to watch for as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Well, here's how I kind of know I'm getting old. I didn't even realize how awesome that downtown San Diego is getting. I mean, I know the gas lamp. I know what's going on down there. But they are really, really revitalizing that whole area.
Now that Petco Park is down there, they've really brought in some cool things, including our very own Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego. Now, you may have heard about it before. You may have heard like, oh, yeah, I kind of know that there's a Hard Rock down there, but I don't really know what the deal is. Well, dude, here's the deal. If you go to a Padre game or you go party downtown or whatever and you don't really feel like driving home, which you shouldn't if you're partying, you could stay. at a Hard Rock Hotel right here in our own hometown in San Diego. If you are partying downtown, what a cool place to party at. They have two bars there that are just off the hook. And they have a No Boo restaurant. Yeah. Well, we're going to be partying downtown tonight. A little early birthday celebration for our friend Eddie. So I went on to their website yesterday for the first time to check out the rooms to see if we're going to stay because we live in North County. And dude, those rooms are They're crazy gorgeous. They have ones that open up right to the pool. They have ones with flat screens on the ceiling. It's nuts. Here's the even crazier part, Sky, is that you can own one of those. Dude, I love it. What they have going on is that if you want to become part of rock royalty and own one of those suites, you can. You can be part owner of Hard Rock Downtown San Diego. It is going off and you can be a part of it. Look into it. It is the Hard Rock.
Downtown San Diego. Say hello to the Mikey Show. I'm a couch, hello. Featuring Mikey. I'm telling you that I believe that I would be the best person to change your diaper. I don't care. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it, that's a flaw in my character. Sky. Myself on myself. The Mikey Show's on 5-3. That's a good record. Britney Spears was supposed to sing it. But it was during the time that she was shaving her head and going through all the real hard stuff, you know? And so I think it was Timbaland that was going to record it with her. I don't know. Whoever produced this album. And one of those big-time producers wanted to record it with Britney Spears. Well, she was a mess. She couldn't. And so Rihanna got it, recorded it, and you know what happened? Welcome back. It's 639. A newlywed Marine couple from Escondido has been reported missing since Monday. Guys, check this out. The Chargers.
preseason games have been announced. The away games are going to be the St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers. Home games? How about the Dallas Cowboys coming here? And Seattle on a Monday night football game. Can you imagine the... There's going to be a lot of Dallas fans there. Probably. I'm intrigued because it's like Wade Phillips coming back to San Diego, taking on his whole team. It's going to be interesting. Never come in between Our text number is 35253. We have a big announcement coming up in about 30 minutes. Anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes, we're going to be making a very, very big announcement. A lot of you have heard me talk many times about my struggles with alcohol and everything else. And finally got something put up on the website to help people. And so if you need help in that regard, go to MikeyShow.com and in the keyword, type in the word help. Here's some of the text we're getting.
Mikey, been listening to you for a while. And through context, I have an idea. But can you define the word beating for me? That's P1 Jason. Yes, I absolutely can. Beating. A beating. Listen. Men can be a beating. There's no doubt about it. But it is very, very rare, Eddie, when you say that you actually find a man that's a beating. Well, that's the deal. You know what I mean? It's kind of like Bigfoot. It's a very rare sighting. There are some out there that are the Sasquatch beating. For the most part, it's gals. That is what it's called, the Sasquatch beating. That's the better name. If it's a guy beating, you should call him a Sasquatch. A sassy. But a beating is generally a woman that she just absolutely wears you out. She just wears you out. Beats you up about everything. You're browbeaten. You're bra beating. And she just, she beats you up about everything. And you finally, what you do is you're so beaten that you just go, okay, okay, just stop. Whatever you want. Just whatever you want. Please just don't beat me up anymore. Ashley, do we have the beating song still? Do we have that anymore? Definitely we have it. It's, let me see. It's up there. Which one? Everything's other. You're a beating. Everything's different.
He's different up here. I think something strange is going on on the weekends. Nothing is as it seems. Everything's been replaced. I think something strange is going on. And I saw a flash forward the other day that I actually found all my music beds. And so I don't really know what's going on. Did you find it? Oh, man. I wonder if somebody's going through our stuff. This has been weird lately, though, because this has happened a couple times where, like, the file's just gone. So I'm, like, wondering... Holy cow. I'll keep looking. Mikey, I tried the A1 sauce on macaroni and cheese yesterday after the show, and it was the bomb. Signed, P1 Mando. I didn't suggest that. It was a listener that liked it, and they tried it, and they really liked it. This guy would never do that. My wife would be... You couldn't pay her enough. She hates sauces of every kind, she says, because she doesn't know what's in it. Unless she knows what's in it, forget it. And she also thinks that they're unnecessary.
for the most part, that you don't need that. Okay, so Naomi Campbell was arrested yesterday. Why was she arrested? What'd she do, Sky? Throw a fit? Well, this all went down at Heathrow Airport in London, and I guess she was getting settled into her seat in first class on British Airways when a stewardess came over to let her know The flight attendant came over to let her know that one of her three carry-on bags is missing. That they can't locate it. But no problem, they're going to search it out, they're going to find it, and they're going to get it shipped to her in L.A. Let's break this down. I wonder if they're saying this to her because she asked for it. In other words, she said, hey, could you get one of my bags? How do you not know where your carry-on is? Do you think Naomi Campbell carries her own carry-on bags? No, she gives it to somebody who pushes it through, and she just goes to her seat with her purse. How does she know that it's missing? That's what I'm saying. Maybe she wanted something from it, and she said, could you get me my bag so I could get out my curling iron and curl my hat? I don't know. I have a battery-powered curling iron. Well, that's not allowed on.
Bored. I'm not going to burn someone to death. It doesn't matter. I just want to curl my hair. No. All right, then. Can you get me my eyelash device? It looks like scissors and a hot dog griller. It's kind of scary, too. So what happened next? So, the flight attendant lets her know that one of her bags is missing and that they'll forward it to her in LA. Oh, no. That's when she snaps. Oh, no. She starts ranting and screaming, according to witnesses on the flight. At that point, the flight attendant felt threatened, and they called in security. Police came onto the flight. No, they did not. And that is when Naomi began to yell and scream at them, and then spit on one of the officers and took a swing at them.
And that is when she was put in cuffs and taken off the flight and arrested. What? For those of you that don't know the name Naomi Campbell, she is a supermodel. Yes, she is. So, there you go. This was her on the Tyra Banks show back in November of 05, talking about her temper. Cut to. I had some crazy things happen to me in my life, absolutely. Some that I am not proud of, that if I could turn the clocks back, I would not ever make them happen. I wish they'd never happened, but they happened. And as I said, I'm human and I make mistakes and I'm living with them. But I'm aware that they were wrong. I'm aware that no one should ever push you to the point of making you lose control. That is so important. You did? She did. She found something last year, Eddie, that helped her with her anger. Oh, good. Cut three.
When you did throw the phone, what do you think made you get to that point? Tiredness, sleeping, lack of sleep, just so many things. And those things sent Naomi off to do some serious soul-searching for the last six months. I do therapy every day. Including crystal therapy. I think they bring great energy and... Crystal meth? No. There's a black tourman in here, which is for protection. Rose quartz, we love rose quartz. And you should see how much crystals I travel with. So what do you do, just pack them into your... How ironic that it was probably the carry-on full of crystals. That's probably what went missing. Wow. It sounds like they're not working. No. It sounds like the crystals are not working. Let's see. Have you guys heard about the moths in Point Loma? The moths? Yeah, dude. Moths. Yeah, dude.
A bunch of moths over there, right? It's great. It's great. A great flap, flap, wing, wing. Real fresh. Wing, wing. Yeah, real sweet. Hey, come here, mothy. Yeah, there's swarms of them in Point Loma. Do we know why? Well, I haven't read the full story yet. Here we go. I got a biologist. I got a biologist. His name is Bill Toon. Here's biologist Bill Toon. Talking about the insect invasion. Cut 71. I'm not exactly sure the species is either one of the loopers or the cutworm moths, I think. We've had really nicely spaced brains, and we're getting a lot of greenery out now. There's plenty of food, and the warm weather is causing them to emerge. You know what you do to catch them? You just build a closet out there in Point Loma. Oh, there you go. And you stick a bunch of coats in there, and they'll go to it. Yeah, they say that, you know, in certain areas of Point Loma, what they do is they'll be in the trees or the bushes. But if you go out and make like a loud sound, it scares them and they all swarm out of the bush. And it's just a crazy swarm. But like you said, due to the rains and then now the weather's getting warm, it's perfect conditions. And so they don't know if this is something that we're going to start seeing all over the county. A little more warming. Exactly, dude.
Ice mountains are falling into the ocean. Ice mountains. Moth mountain. Okay. I ate my shirt from Milan. Yeah, great, dude. All right? Hey, if you're going to put a closet out there in Point Loma, be careful what kind of jackets you're putting in it, all right? Because some of those things are not cheap. Where'd you get that one, dude? That's from Milan, dude. All right? That's real fresh. It's real sweet, okay? Nothing but the best for the kid. Yeah, dude. No. How's Ashley doing, bro? Oh, dude, she's so sweet. I was on the WW the other day taking a look at her on the intron net. She's got a clown boyfriend, dude. Oh, yeah, I heard about that. That won't last, all right? She sees me, all right? She's not the kid. Yeah, she hasn't seen the kid. What's her address? I'm going to send her a dozen roses, okay? She is immaculate. That's right, dude. That's right. She's fantastic. Real, real sweet. Thank you. Take her out to a nice steak dinner. A little surf and turf. Whatever you want, baby. You know what? Order whatever you want, sweetheart. This one's on me. Like a fresh 1998 Cabernet. That's right. It's a real great year. How's that?
Why don't you taste that for the server, okay? That's great. How is it? Is it delicious? That is delicious. You know what? We'll take that bottle. Thank you. Thank you. $25? Yes. That's fine. I'll do that. I'll expense that, all right? I've got that covered, actually. That's great. This one's on me. Eddie, we remember how annoying it was when Junior Seau retired and then the next day came out of retirement. He did not retire. He says he did not retire. Well, wait a minute. Here's Junior Seau now. Junior Seau is in the studio. Junior, you were retiring. Isn't that correct? I'm not retiring. Very angry. I'm graduating today. You graduated. So, well, then I stand corrected. Junior graduated a couple of seasons ago, and then he ungraduated. He went back to school. That's correct. Okay. Now, my question for Eddie is, If Brett Favre were to come back from retirement, would it be annoying to you or would you be okay with that? First of all. After all, he's handsome. He's gorgeous. He's gorgeous. Rustic. He would never do that. He would never, ever, ever in a million years hold that press conference where he wailed, bawled for an hour straight.
And then be like, ah, yeah, I'm going to come back. It's just impossible. You know, there's rumors out there, Eddie. Yeah, but his agent came out and said, it's not true. Anybody that's saying Brett's coming back, he's not coming back. But like J-Lo's agent came out and said she wasn't pregnant. That's right. Remember, Brittany wasn't getting a divorce. It's impossible. I hope he does come back. You hope he does? I love the guy. You just said it would annoy you. I did not say it would annoy me. It would upset you? What was the word? It wouldn't upset me. I just said he wouldn't do it. He wouldn't do it. There you go. If he did, it would be great. P1 Rick. Yeah, what's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Hey, I was watching SportsCenter last night, and I don't know if you guys saw it, but a hawk attacked a 13-year-old girl at Fenway Park. And guess what the girl's name was? What? Alexa Rodriguez. A-Rod? Yeah. A-Rod. Wow. A-Rod was attacked by a hawk. What kind of hawk was it? Do you know? They said it was a red-striped hawk. Red-tailed hawk. Red-sock. A red-sock hawk. It's a red-tailed hawk. A red-sock hawk. Oh, how clever. And it actually drew blood from her scalp. Oh, wow. Thanks for hanging in the room down. When it's talons... Whatever, Sky Stallone. Was it a bloody sock or... A red-tailed hawk. Red-tailed sock. Rob must love that story. I love it. Of course it is.
Have not heard that. I'm going to go see if they have any pictures. Yeah, I just had the paper framed, Mike. Phone number here is 570-1053. You want to get your oil changed, which actually I do need to do that. What else? You got an issue with the brakes in your car? You got an issue with needing a tune-up? Anything like this? You need to go to Amco.
Because Amco is not just about transmissions, but they are about transmissions. And for those of you that are listening right now that don't know what a transmission is, and that could be a ton of you. A transmission is basically the part of the vehicle that does what your legs do. It's a part of the car that does the walking. And so when that thing gets messed up, it can be very, very expensive to have dealt with. Now, when you take it to a dealership, almost all the time. what they're going to do is they're going to say, yes, we need to replace that, sir or ma'am. And then because we are afraid, we go, oh, okay, yeah, please go ahead. Except when you take it to AMCO, they don't do that. They usually say, well, I think we can fix this for you. And so that's why I urge everybody to go to AMCO. You can always remember AMCO by remembering this little phrase. It's AMCO, double A-M-C-O. Mikey, when you used to broadcast in other cities, do you remember your old Hall of Famers? I remember the stuff they did. I can't necessarily remember the stuff their name, because I don't think that they were... Well, there's Cabo Al. Oh, definitely Cabo Al. You can't forget Cabo Al. Oh, John Doe. Oh, yes. And we had, what did we call that guy that would call it the accent? Well, let's explain. Let's explain. Cabo Al.
Cabo Al was a guy that used to come in every Friday when we would do Free Beer Friday. Really, really sweet, nice man. And he was really into Cabo Wabo Cantina tequila. So he would come in with that. P1 John Doe was the enemy of Sky. And he used to call in every once in a while. And when we would say hello, he would go, good morning, gentlemen. And then he would abuse Sky. And who else was there, you said? There was that guy, remember, that would call in and we would... you know act like he was a stand-up comedian and he had like a real thick accent oh yeah oh yes the heck was his name i don't remember i don't remember either we had a whole bed for him and everything yeah it's like a mexican dude or something do you guys remember the guy one time sean made the mistake of saying on the air that he was extraordinarily busy and he was just a busy person in general yeah
I love that guy. And we asked Sean, well, what's got you so busy? Like, what are you doing? And he goes, dude, I do so much stuff around here to make the company money. And I... And for whatever reason, that stuck with this one listener. And he would call in and he would go, my name is Sean and I make the company so much money. Every day. My name is Sean. My company so much money. We would laugh until we would cry. Holy Toledo, was that guy funny. There was the breather. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Every day at the end of the show, when we would close the show, we'd do like we do now, open phones. And this one guy would call, and he would just go, That was his thing. And then there was the guy who would always call, and it was like he was screaming at his mom in the background about Metallica. That's right, yes. That is great.
Oh, Skid Row. Yes. Skid Row guy. Guy always called up almost every day and requested the Skid Row song. That's right. Even though we didn't play any music. We never played music. No, no. Every day. And then a couple times you'd play Kate him and play him a little something something and he'd freak out. It would be like once a year. Yeah, yeah. And what was the beauty of Skid Row guy was is that he would call each day as if he'd never requested it before. Like, hey, do you have a little Skid Row today? What's up? Skid Row? Good morning, Mikey. Show. Mikey, how's your dad doing these days? My family and I have been praying for him. God bless. Signed, Big Daddy Weave. My dad's doing great, man. My dad is looking great. He's feeling great. He's doing really good. Awesome. So, yeah, we're real stoked about that. Mom? Hi, Mom. Happy birthday to you. That's right, Mom. Not a day over 40. A day over 20 would. That's right. That would be the nice thing to say, but we'll go with 40. Yeah.
My mom is so cute. You know what she wanted for her birthday? Because we take her out. We take her out to any dinner. Wherever you want to go, Mom, we'll take you out. This year, it was different. She says, this year, I would like to have dinner at your house, but I would like you to barbecue ribs. Oh, cool. And I said, you got it. Delicious. So, yeah, we're going to do some barbecued ribs for Mom. Oh, that's awesome. I can hardly wait. Awesome. Oh, thank you. How was the girls' night out last night, Mom? Oh, my God. We had such a good time. We just laughed and laughed and laughed. Did you get wasted, Esther? Are you a little hungover? Well, I did have a glass of wine. That's crazy. Where did you guys go, Mom? Out back. In Rancho Bernardo. You're the best. You're the best. Well, it's technically Poway, but I know what you mean, yes. Oh, okay. It's right on the border, so don't feel bad. Outback, like a liquor store? It's always crowded. It's very crowded. Well, because the place is the best. You've got to go early. We know you love it. Oh, I'm just saying. Mom, Skye loves Outback. She loves it. Oh, I did too. What did you have to eat? Pasta.
All the girls had steak. Yeah, Skye has a look right now like, hello, that's what you're supposed to get. For some reason, I didn't feel like steak last night. There you go. It's your birthday. You can do whatever you want. Mom, listen to me. I love you. I love you very much. I love you, too. Mike, I'm worried about you. Do you still have your sinus infection? Yes, I do, Mommy. Oh, Mike, I have the perfect, perfect thing for you. Cocaine. No, no, no. No. What is it, Mom? It's called a nanopot. A nanopot. Uh-huh. I used to take that. That's right. It's a little small toilet that you sit on. It's called a nanopot. Yeah. What is a nanopod, Mom? It's a tiny little plastic. It looks like a tea kettle. And you put warm water in it and you put the little packet that comes with it. And you put it in one nostril and in another nostril. That's great. And you know what, Mike? I've taken pills all my life. Me too, Mom. And now I don't have to take them. Look at that.
Fantastic. All right, Mom. I'm going to get a nanopod from you today, and I'll do it. All right. Yeah. Dad and I are getting you one. There you go. All right, Mom. I love you. I love you, too. I love you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Bye. See you later. Yeah, she's... Eddie, what is your birth... What is the astrological sign for this time? Aries. Aries. What are the... What do they say about Aries? Like, what is your... Great love makers. Great love makers. Gentle love makers. Soft. Yes. Very soft and romantic. Soft and strong. Soft yet strong. That is true. You're being creepy. That's true. That's fantastic. Let's make the announcement. Let's not keep people waiting any longer. Let's make the announcement. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go, yo. Ladies and gentlemen, EOD will be in this series. studio performing live in this studio. What do you think about that? Yes! I love it. What? Love it. Holy cow. They get breakfast and the whole deal. Wow.
So basically what we're going to do is we're going to give away 10 pair. Total of 20 people, it'll be 10 pair. Nice. So you get to bring someone. As you know, PODs, some local guys, and we're pretty good friends with all of them. We know them really good, and they're coming in next Wednesday. If you can't get amped up listening to this, I don't want to know. Sean is freaking out right now. Getting really into it. When do we come back? Well, tickets, how do they get in? How do we help? I cannot get into the situation. It is a top secret thing. No, we have a plan, but I don't want to unveil it yet. I don't want to unveil it. Thank you, Eddie. And what we will do is... We will take a quick timeout. When we come back, I am going to get the Battle of the Sexes rolling. Oh, it's awesome in the house. Mismatch Girls, I'll tell you who they are. They're coming into the studio. And our text number is 35253.
Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. I'm a mother. It's my nature to protect my daughter. So when she told me she wanted to join the Guard, my gut reaction was to worry for her safety. But I've always trusted my son and supported his decisions. Rock 105.3 Traffic. You know, overall looking pretty good on our freeways right now. We've had some debris here and there on different freeways just falling out of trucks and stuff all over the place. But right now, they've pretty much got that out of the way. Somebody lost a couple of longboards, unfortunately, in the south on the side of the 5 near Carmel Valley. They've been just all matched up and pretty much now just on the side of the roadway. South on the side of the 5, though, coming out of the North County, you will find some slow traffic still here out of Encinitas down towards Solana Beach. The South 15, a little tight here from Powell, I mean, at West Bernardo Drive. Down in towards Carmel Mountain Ranch. That's you've added overall. Westbound 8 this morning has been cooperating into the valley. No worries there. The westbound 52 also looking pretty good out of Santee. Your 94 King Freeway westbound. Just a minor delay in the downtown. And coming up out of the South Bay, you've got a little bit of a slowdown here in the 805 northbound from Murray Ridge up towards Mesa College. And then again out of Courtney Mesa over the 52. Down with Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Sky? Yes, my friend?
Just having a conversation with one of our P1s here in the studio. Oh, yes. Who bought a pair of sunglasses at Sunglass and Optical Warehouse. Yeah, what did he say? Loved them. Really? Absolutely loves them. He is in the military. They also gave him a military discount, which I didn't even know they did. So if he got the military discount, he didn't get the P1 discount. He got that as well. Shut your mouth. And already the lowest prices in town. Well, that's a huge deal. It's crazy. It really is crazy. Who knew? What you want to do is go into Sunglass and Optical Warehouse if you're looking for a pair of shades. And you're going to get already, like I said, low prices. You're going to get 10% off if you say you're a P1. And military guys, make sure you mention it. Apparently, they give a military discount, too. That's huge. And like Eddie said, of course, they got the hugest selection of sunglasses. But they also do prescription eyewear. They also have a full line of parts and accessories for your current sunglasses. They just took it up. They've got three San Diego locations. There's one on the intersection of Balboa and Convoy and Kearney Mesa, one in the La Jolla Village Shopping Center between Starbucks and Trader Joe's, and one on Kurt Street behind the sports arena. Make sure you look for the yellow and black sunglass and optical warehouse sign on that one. So for all of the details, check out their website, sunglassoptical.com. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. It is. I just need a little bit. KIOC San Diego.
Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I just want my sandwich like I want my sandwich. Skye. I enjoy presents, hey. Sean. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On Rock 105.3. 719. North Carolina. County Congressman Daryl Issa is facing criticism for comments he made about the 9-11 attacks. Scott Harrison went three for three yesterday after joining Eddie's fantasy baseball team. Hey. The Padres. I mean, it's not like he chose to join your team. He was celebrating his pickup by me by going three for three yesterday. I don't think he even knows who you are. And leading the Padres three to two over the Houston Astros. No clue who you are. And hey, Padres, you're welcome. Um...
Well, I mean. Eddie did you a favor. There you go. But it has nothing to do. You're welcome. I mean, they don't even know that Eddie has no Spanish. You're welcome. 35253 is our text number. Sorry. You're a bad person. No. Check out our blogs if you want to by going to mikeyshow.com and in the keyword section typing in the word blogs. Eat all about our personal thoughts. Earlier this morning, Sky said something and I said, please, let's discuss this on the air. That's actually what I vlogged about this morning. Sky fell down the stairs yesterday. Oh, come on. I did. Where? At my house. At your house. Yes. Cannonball! Did you fall... Sean! Did you fall down one step or did you fall down several steps? Several steps. Several steps. And by several, we mean how many? Two. I'd say one and a half, Mike. I'd say maybe like five or six. On your butt? Yeah, well, it was kind of a sliding midair, ending up on your butt motion. What happened? Well...
I'm a big fan of these new slippers. Well, they're not new, but they're these slippers I'm wearing like all the time everywhere I go. Those black ones. Yeah. See? Those are not new. They're called Crisco slippers and they've got Crisco all over the bottom. Yeah, the ballet slippers. So they look like ballet slippers. She's wearing them right now? Yeah, she wears them every day. They're ballet slippers. You haven't noticed that? Yeah, I wear them like every day. No, I haven't. She's like a ninja. Let me see. Please come here. How have you not noticed that? Because I'm not looking at her dainty feet. Sky, you wear your... Those are the slippers you wear at home? Yeah. Everywhere. To the bank. How do you wear those coats? And it's not uncomfortable because, you know, slippers are thin on the body. They're meant for walking around your house, not like walking on pavement and the sidewalk and stuff. Oh, no, we're good. Well, because the ballet slipper type of shoe is kind of stylish right now. It is. Very easy. And I have these slippers. It is? Yeah, it is. Where are ballet studios? No, ask any woman. They really do look like ballet slippers. I just looked at them and they got like a little black little broad bow.
Whatever. So I have these slippers that I've had forever that look like ballet shoes, and so I'm like, hey, perfect, right? So anyway, so I'm wearing them yesterday at the house, and I ran upstairs to get Bunny Boo a new shirt. Why, did you spell something on him? Oh, no. He was in the mud in the backyard. So ripped. Yeah, he flexed a little too much, and his shirt flew off. It happens. Totally. So I went upstairs and then I'm coming downstairs and yeah, bam. And not fun. Sounds hysterical. Yeah. And it was just, I think just because the bottom of the slipper. So your feet went out in front of you and your butt hit and you went boom, boom, boom, boom like that? Yeah. But it sucked because my left arm was on the banister. Yeah. And so like my arm kind of stayed in the same place as my body. So my lower back hurts because my, you know, arse hit. And this arm, I feel like I pulled like every muscle in this arm. Are you okay? It was very traumatic. And then I sat there on the step for a good minute or so deciding whether I was going to cry or not.
Are you serious? Yeah. And what did you ultimately decide on? And that's what I blogged about because I felt like a little kid. Yeah. Because it's not like I was really injured. Right. But I was scared because I could have been really injured. Sure. You know? And so, like, being so scared, I wanted to cry. But then I'm telling myself, you can't cry right now because you're not actually hurt. But then you remembered, yeah, but I sleep with a stuffed animal. What could it hurt? I fall down my stairs once a month. You do? No way. That is awesome. Dude, I never knew you'd fall down your stairs. That could be very dangerous. It is really dangerous. Oh my God, I'd love to see it. Eddie, do you fall down your stairs? I walk down my stairs in socks and whenever that happens, if I'm not paying attention or whatever, my feet go out from under me. Once a month. Has your wife ever seen this? No, I don't think so. Oh! I have a question. Why not remove the socks? I don't really care. It hurts, but it goes away. You should have seen me going down the stairs this morning. It was like one step at a time.
So dramatic. Ultimately, what did you decide about the crying? Did you decide, I'm going to go for it, or did you decide to keep it in? No, I'm a big girl, Mike. I see. And big girls. Don't cry. Don't cry. I've heard that. I've heard that many times. P1 Jackie is on the line. Good morning, everybody. Happy Friday. Happy Friday, dude. Hey, considering Sky's terrible fall, I thought Ramsey installed one of those escalating chairs like in the ground. Yes, well, he did, but as you know, as you know, he doesn't know what he's doing. Oh, don't say that about him. He doesn't know what he's doing, and so we had to have it removed, and it's being professionally installed in two weeks. But we're in the window of time where it's being installed and it's not there yet. And as you know, I have a spiral staircase made of solid gold. And so a specialist has to come in and install it. So what we had to do was remove the diamonds on the banister. And after the diamonds were removed, then we will have them made into a locket. Why don't you make me carry you upstairs, too?
Yes, I do. I do make you carry me up the stairs. There's a little chair that goes on my back, so I gotta carry you up the stairs. Yes, that's right. I don't like it. Many people are listening right now, and they've probably never heard Ramsey before, and I'm just gonna describe him. Yes, I am. There's Ramsey. Ramsey is my white manservant. Anglos. That's right. So, for those of you that want to be angry, About the fact that you're hearing his voice. You can't be. No, you can't. You can't be because he's white. You know, as they say in the rap community, what you gonna do? What you gonna do, sucker? Doesn't 50 Cent say that all the time? What you gonna do, sucker? And every once in a while, I take my bullwhip to Ramsey's back. Just like that. Just like that. How does that feel, Ramsey? I don't like it. Of course you don't. I'm Gorgonzola. Okay. I'm Gorgonzola. Did you just scream out Gorgonzola? No. No, I didn't. You better not. I did not. Because you're not allowed to know what Gorgonzola is. I don't know what it is. Why? Thank goodness. Why? Why isn't he allowed to know Gorgonzola? Well, because that would mean that he was in the regular refrigerator and he's got his own. I am not. He's got his own bowl. I put in there what he's supposed to eat. Oh, I mean, he's a human. There you go. You say Paul Newman.
If you say Paul Newman salad dressing, I'll freak out on you. I will not. Think. You will not. Not. You will not. Singular. Not. Not. Caviar is for the inside the house people. Not the outside the house people. So anyway, Skye fell down her stairs. Down the stairs. That's right. Welcome to the club. What should we do, Eddie? I got an email, or we could do Battle of the Sexes. Which direction should we go? We should definitely do Battle of the Sexes, but I'm thinking we should probably take a break, first come back and do it. Let's do it. Build a suspense. That's right. We'll build some suspense with the United States of America rock band and their song Peaches. I love it. Well, the lyrics are profound and moving. Nice choice, Bob. Moving to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches.
Ladies and gentlemen, Jerry Seinfeld was involved in a rollover crash. I will give you the details as to whether or not he was hurt when we come back, along with Battle of the Sexes. Oh, definitely. That's why, you know, it kind of makes sense that they're going to be a part of Coors, or they're going to be a part of the amphitheater. Right. It's going to be hard to not mess that up. But, yeah, so now it's going to be cricket wireless amphitheater. Mayor Sanders and mayoral candidate Francis debated last night and disagreed on everything from the budget to the Chargers. Cincinnati Bengals cut their wide receiver Chris Henry after his fifth arrest since 2005. We announced it earlier. We're going to be sending out a text blast pretty soon. POD is going to be in the studio next Wednesday. They're going to be performing in the studio, in our performance studio, and we're going to give people the opportunity to win a chance to come in and watch. That's right. A little bit later on, we're going to be hearing audio from the pregnant man that was on the Oprah Winfrey show yesterday. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Did you see it, Ash? I saw, like, and it's... It was a woman. It's a woman that became a man. Right. But she kept her reproductive organs. And now is... And then her, his, so now it's a he. Yeah. And his wife artificially inseminated him.
That's right. And he's pregnant. He's got a baby bump now. That's right. So we'll be playing audio from that coming up. Very interesting. Mikey, I'm so jazzed that I just yelled POD is coming out my window at a kid walking to school. He tripped a little bit. It's P1 Firecracker. Hey, Mikey, are you guys going to talk about the UFC fight? UFC fight night on Wednesday. I was wondering what you thought about Houston Alexander getting KO'd in eight minutes. That was crazy. You watched it, right, Eddie? Of course. Pretty awesome? Yeah, it tied the record for quickest knockout ever in UFC history. A little bit of controversy. He felt like it shouldn't have been stopped, but it should have been stopped. He was knocked out. I'm going to tell you something. It beat the record, but that's only because I haven't stepped in the ring. That's for sure. I could beat that record. I could get knocked out in less than eight seconds. Mikey, Sky falling down the stairs is...
Pretty funny, but it's also karma for cutting the neighbor's lawn. How is that karma for doing something nice? That's not how karma works. It was selfish, actually. It wasn't something nice. Mikey, I'd been waiting for Ramsey to make an appearance. Thank you for completing my day. Signed P1, Pinky. And there it is. Let's see. Yeah, Jerry Seinfeld. He was involved in an accident. Apparently, it was a rollover accident. He was driving his... What do they call it a rollover? Yeah. What's the deal? What was he doing at the time, Sky? Well, this happened in the Hamptons last weekend. He was driving his 1967 Fiat when I guess the brakes went out. And so he tried to pull the e-brake and that didn't work either. Oh. Yeah. And so he had, you know, he basically had a choice to swerve into oncoming traffic or to swerve in, you know, off the road.
So he swerved off the road and the car completely flipped over. Holy cow. It went on the passenger side, on the roof, and then ended up landing on the driver's side. And, you know. And he's okay. Yeah, he actually walked out of the car. What? Rob, did you say you've had a couple of those? I've had a couple of cars that... The e-brake don't work. It's just there for looks. Yeah. For looks. I'm not even kidding. That's safe. I used to drive around and just pull it up and just for fun. That's dangerous. You're telling me. Yeah. Well, I also had to climb in through the window, but. Yeah, well. What's the point of pulling a bike in the car if it doesn't actually pull it? What just happened? Did she get medical attention? What just happened? I don't know. Maybe the greatest sign for the invitation I've ever heard. No, dude, her tongue is swelling resin feet. Maybe it's one of them anaphylaxis. Is it like a peanut outfit? I think so. Throat's closing off. Someone get the defibrillator. Got an EpiPen. Anyone with an EpiPen? It's fine to me. It's fine to me. Thank you. I thought Jerry was in the studio. Jerry went deaf. That's right. Thank you. His ears were injured. His ears were injured and they rolled over.
Holy cow, that was bad. Well, welcome back to the show. That was weird. What do you think about doing something like this? Time to play the Mikey Show Battle of the Sexes. Come on. See who's smarter and fun. Wow, what's the total we're looking at now? Shut up. I think you should shut up. Team Awesome. I think your mouth should shut it. Undefeated. Eddie, the women have never won. Never won. What? No. Oh, there she is. Here's my girl. Let's have her come sit down. We're going to be friends today. Yeah. I feel bad for you guys. You know, it's like pity. Oh, whatever. No, we don't need pity. We don't want your pity. We don't want it. Look at her. She's gorgeous. She's a San Diego Charger girl. Yeah. Her name is Chantel. And she is sassy. She is. She is sassy. She's part of Team Sass. She's the captain of Team Sass. That's true. Let me talk to the captain of Team Sass for a moment. Maybe the captain of Team Sass would like to offer some sort of a word as to why Team Sass has not won yet.
I've been thinking about this. I'm actually glad you brought this up. I was thinking, you know. Because they're women, right? Shut up. Shut up. And that's not we were going to be friends today? Well, here's the deal. This is science that women's brains are smaller than men's brains. It's science, Holmes. Now, listen. So, you guys are technically not as smart as men. So, you're at a disadvantage. I ask you to just zip it for 2.3. Bring it down a notch. Okay, here we go. So what I was going to say before I was really interrupted, I was thinking, Eddie's first life, he must have been a woman. I was just, because he knows a little bit. Now, why do you say this? Why do you say this? Insulting may work. It's actually a compliment. It is a little bit. He just knows way too much stuff. I don't know if he sits home and just, you know, like, racks his brain about all the stuff that women know. He reads a lot of Cosmo. Or the fact that you guys don't answer anything right. Okay, now really, you can't make that statement. I mean, come on, let's, come on. Have you got a question right yet? Yes. Thank you very much. Chantel, let me ask if you did what you said you were going to do. What? Well, Chantel said that she was going to study up on her men's stuff over the last week.
I did, and in New York, I thought about it. She's on vacation. Nice. What were you doing in New York? Having fun. Oh, wow. Who knows what that means. That sounds smart, huh? Who knows what that means. All right, let's start. Let's get this thing started. Let's get this party started. Should we start with the, I think we should start with the girls. Perfect. The guys started last time. So let's start with the girls. All right. Will you stop it? Yeah, go ahead, Ashley. Just real quick, every week, is it imperative that we start with the same people and go in the same order? We don't have to. We can switch it up. Would it make you more comfortable? Would it make you more comfortable? Maybe we should start this week with Chantel and Sean, and then next week start with me and Rob. Let's do it. Let's make it real fresh. Let's do it. Let's make it real fresh. I mean, it's a new month of April. Real sweet. Real sweet. All right, Chantel, are you ready? I'm ready. Your question is... Is... What does the sump on a car hold? The what? The sump on a car. Spell me. Spell that, please. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, man. It's S-U-M-P. Now, I can tell you exactly about my sump, but if I told you too much about my sump, it would... Can you use it in a sentence? Your lovely lady sump. Yes. Lovely lady sumps. Chantel, what is the sump?
On a car hold? You're the team captain, right? There's two things that's coming to mind. We've got to come up with a voice for Chantel. Because when we go to Sky, we can go, hello, yes, I'm Sky. When we go to Ashley, we can go, yes, I have an N suit. We need to come up with something sassy for Chantel. Girl. Okay. So I'm thinking, a sump. Can it hold the engine? I don't know. That is incorrect. Wow. That was incorrect. I don't know what it is. Could it be gasoline? It's a decent guess. A sump is this thing that holds oil. Now, I got what they call a dry sump. Wow, dude. There's pills you can take. I know. I've been working on it. I've been working on it. Sav. Get on it. That was a hard one. That was hard. Let's go over to the guys. And this time, Sean will start first. Sure. Hello. Doesn't matter. Sean, your boy. Yes, sir.
The initials MF, and no, that's not what you think, Sean. Yes, it is. Don't say it. We got this one in the bag. It's not that. Sean. It says it every other sentence. Sean. It's true. The initials MF are short for what major brand of cosmetics? Max Factor? That is correct, Sean. What the hell? I would not have known that one. I didn't even know that. Let me tell you something. If Ashley wouldn't have said what she did, I would have gotten that wrong. Well, congratulations, Ashley. You just scored a point for the men. I'm just letting you know. Once again, another decision that the women made. Brilliant. He's just pointing it out. You get out of her head. for alone. I know you're trying to play mind games with my girl. To you girls. Over to Team Sass. Who do you want to go this time? Ash, who should know? You or Sky? No, it's me next. You're next. Ashley, your question is what are the two conferences in the NBA? What are the two conferences in the NBA?
Ashley is thinking you could see it may be in there. Well, now she's blinking. And wait. Take your time. Take your time, Ash. It'll matter. She's taking the headphones off. That means it's coming to her. It's coming to her. When she takes off the headphones, something is coming to her. She's got it. She's putting the headphones back on now. Is it Comic-Con money? I mean, when you guys do that, it freaking messes me up. Well, take them off. Take them off. And you know what freaking sucks? You guys don't do it when freaking the guys go. Come on, Ash. Take them off. No, they make fun of me. There she goes. She's got them off. She's freaking. She's got it. I'm going to just say the West League and the East League. You are correct, Ash. Shut up. You swear to God. You got it. You got it. You got it. East and the West Conference. Wow. She's standing up. Face, Eddie. Well done. Face on your face. Face on me. Because you deserve it. Next up. Just for that, you're done. Whatever. You're done. Team Awesome. Team Awesome. It's Eddie. Oh, you want me to go? Or do we go to a show? I don't know. I don't know. B-Rob. I'll be the anchor today. B-Rob, your question is. All right, here we go.
What female vocalist released an album titled B-Day in 2006? Come on. Now, Chantel says, this is a woman... I know this one. This is just ridiculously easy. Every woman in the world knows. Every man knows. Hold on. Come on, Riz. You can pull this out. Stop it. Riz, what female vocalist released an album titled B-Day in 2006? Now, I'll tell you, I've never heard of it in my life. What? In 2006? Never heard of it. I got this one. Never heard of it. Dude, I am so... Clueless. And am I saying it right? Is it B-Day? Yes. Okay. Oh, got it. Beyonce. That is correct. That is correct. Yes. Yes. That's just ridiculous. That is correct. Holy mackle. Eddie, so far your theory is correct. Men apparently have bigger brains than the women. Well, it's easy. Words are smarter. Whatever. I'm not showing any bias. Yeah. No, I'm just saying. I'm just making an observation. I think it's clear. You need to go out of your way to make voices to imitate all the girls without the men. Yeah, what about the boys? I don't know any of those guys' voices. I don't know any of this. I don't know any of this. Sky. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Why did I say no? Your question. Show artist. Sky, your question for Team Awesome is. Oh, you heard that? Yes. We're Team Awesome.
Sky, your question for Team Sass is, what is the name of the leader of the Autobots on the Transformers who transforms into a semi-truck? The Autobots are the good guys. Because the Decepticons are the bad guys. Sky, what is the name of the leader of the Autobots on the Transformers who transforms into a semi-truck? Chantel does not know this one. I can tell. I'm looking at Chantel. Are you choking? She does not know this one. She just gave Eddie a look like, what do you want from me? What do you know? Don't mean, Eddie. I'm sick of this. You need to check your attitude. Sky is deep in thought right now. Who is coming to Sky? Well, because I'm thinking Optimus Prime, but I'm not sure if Optimus Prime is the leader of the good guys or the bad guys. And then there was a bumblebee. And then there was... Please, Skye. Five seconds. You got it. I'm going to go Optimus Prime. You are correct, Skye. Skye. Well done. Possibly the easiest question in the history of questions. Come on. Stop it. Come on. Stilettos. That's the only heel a guy knows. Don't go there. We should have went with, like, wedges or something. You wouldn't know. That's right. That would be awesome. Speaking English.
Please. Eddie, are you ready for Team Awesome's question? Team Annoying. Thank you. Awesome. Actually, I love that. Eddie, what Sex and the City character worked as an art dealer? Easy. Oh, Chantel is so easy. She knows that. Chantel knows that. Oh, get out of here. Chantel knows the girl question? Wow. Oh, really? Are you getting in? Eddie is thinking. He's got his head down. Now, I know this. Eddie wouldn't know this from watching, but he reads a lot. He reads a lot. I have never seen an episode of Sex and the City. Really? No. Wow. That's shocking. But I do read Entertainment Weekly cover to cover. Right. So I know a couple of the names. Do you? I think one is Miranda and one is Carrie. But I think that's Sarah Jessica Parker and I think she was a columnist.
And that's the only two that I know. She was actually a quarterback for four of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her name is Carrie Bradshaw. And she was actually a quarterback for the Steelers for many shows. You okay over there? So, Eddie, what Sex and the City character worked as an art dealer? Well, the only other character I know, like I said, is Miranda. So I'm going to say Miranda. Perfect answer. Eddie, that's incorrect. I don't know. It was not Miranda, Eddie. I don't know. It was Charlotte. That's right. It was Charlotte. What's the score? Never heard that in my life. That's okay. That was good. Anybody? The score. The score. Anybody got to talk about it? Is tied. The score is tied. It's two to two. Who missed the question for your team? I did. Oh, okay. I can admit things. I was just checking. I didn't know. Who missed the question for your team? I did. Exactly. I'm talking to you over there, sweaty. Oh, my God. Dear people of the world, The Mikey Show is on. But at what cost? At what cost? This is The Rock. On July 3rd, 1993, I was riding on the back of a friend's personal watercraft. After we had awake, I bounced off and was run over by a boat. The propeller nearly severed my fingers, arm, and leg. One minute I was riding along, the next I was lying on the shore bleeding. Since then, I've had six surgeries. If only the boater hadn't been drinking that day, I could still do the things I used to do, and I wouldn't have this pain every day. Remember, if it's your boat... It's your responsibility. Let me tell you something. If you were working for the U.S. Border Patrol, no day is the same. It's a great job, man. Every day you're doing something new, something that you hadn't planned on the day before. And the cool thing is that voluntarily, if you want to, you can travel because you're working for the Department of Homeland Security. The Border Patrol is a really good field. So I urge you to go to their website, borderpatrol.gov. Check out what they got for you.
You know, while you're going to the academy to learn how to be an agent, they're paying you while you're doing that. And it's pretty cool. Good salary. Work over 40 hours. You get paid for it. It's not like a lot of jobs where you work over that 40 hours, but they're not giving you the dough for it. You're just giving them your time, but you're not getting paid. You do with the Border Patrol. Go to their website, borderpatrol.gov. When I opened my WAMU free checking account online in under seven minutes, it felt like... Sort of. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I love penguins.
They're my favorite. On Rock 105.3. I don't have to work on that before tonight. That's not going good. Eddie, what do you call that move? Keep coordinated. Listen, she's a charger girl. It's not like, you know, she's supposed to know about dancing. Like cool dance. We have a San Diego charger girl in the studio. She's here every Friday. And she's sassy. That's why she came up with Team Sass, man. Welcome back. Thanks. It's a Mikey show, and it is 8.01. Naomi Campbell was arrested yesterday at Heathrow Airport after she spit on and tried to hit a cop. Speaking of the Chargers, we found out they're preseason games. They're going to play Dallas and Seattle here at home, and St. Louis and San Francisco are the away games. Dude, if you're going downtown and you're going to be by the game and you're going to go watch a baseball game or whatever, you've got to try Dirty Dells. They brought us some food today, and they're really good, man. They've got a great website.
DirtyDells.com. D-I-R-T-Y-D-E-L-S.com. They're located two blocks north of Petco in a corner on 10th and Island. So great location. They got six plasmas in there. They're really big. And so you can watch everything going on. Happy hour specials all day, every day. Two 50 pints, $10 pitchers. Come on in and check them out. They're called Dirty Dells. They make great sandwiches. That's rad. One more time, DirtyDells.com. So thank you to Dirty Dells. And they're P1s, so that always makes them good. It's cool to go to a P1 stamped place, you know what I mean? It makes it taste better. Yeah, it does. It does. All right, well, welcome back. We got some more questions, and we're going to get back into it. We're tied. We've been doing Battle of the Sexes now for, I don't know, four weeks? Yeah, and we've never lost mine. Sorry. Chantel, you love that dance, don't you? Yeah. It's a whole. It's one of those deals where you're pretending to not like it, but you know secretly you love that dance. You should be doing it in the club. That's right. Okay. If you say so. We'll see the charge of girls be busting that out next year. Right? Seriously. No. Yeah, you will. No. We'll say this is what not to do. All right. Let's go back to the girls. All right. I'm ready. No. Who said that? Who starts?
Chantel. Okay, Chantel, are you ready? Yes. She'll get a question right this time. Chantel in baseball. Odell. Oh, man, she's already throwing her hands up. She's already throwing her hands up. All right, let's go. In baseball. Yes. Have you seen my baseball? That was unnecessary. I did it for you, Eddie. In baseball, Chantel, if a player is listed as an RP on the stat sheet, what position does that guy play? Or a girl. An RP? I love this question. An RP. Yes, I do. In baseball, if a player's listed as an RP on the stat sheet, what position does he play? RP. Chantal is thinking. PR, like pinch hitter. Don't they have those? Public relations. No. RP. Oh. In baseball, if a player's listed as an RP on the stat sheet, what position does he play? I think smoke's going to start coming out of your ear, Chantel. You are thinking so hard. You're thinking so hard. I want to say... Just think it out. Let it come to you. Let it come to you. Think about the different positions in the game. Well, you be quiet. I'm not saying anything. You are saying too much. Chantel looks beautiful today. San Diego Charger girl. Gorgeous. Got that going for her, right? Yeah, that's about it. She is really pretty. She doesn't get any of these questions right, but she's gorgeous. And she can dance. RP, be cool.
One more time, Chantel. I'm going to ask you this one more time. I'm going to give you five seconds to answer. In baseball, if a player is listed as an RP on the stat sheet, what position does he play? Five seconds. Honestly. And I'm sorry, Chantel. I honestly don't know. Chantel, if he was listed as an RP, he'd be the relief pitcher. He'd be the relief pitcher. Oh, no, Chantel. Darn it. I swear. Chantel, no. Man, you'll get one of them, right? Let's go over to Team Awesome now. We will begin with Shawnee O'Boy. Shawnee O'Boy. Yes. The greatest, you mean? Here is your question. King of makeup? Here is your question, makeup man. I agree. Camoralee Simmons is the CEO for what brand? Oh my gosh. What the hell is that? Camoralee Simmons.
I've never heard that name in my life. I've never heard that name in my life. I swear to you, I don't know. I don't even believe you if I tried. Why would I make up not knowing? You know. Skye, you know this. Everybody knows it. Listen, I consider myself a very intelligent man. I have never in my life heard the words. Come on. I swear to you, Skye. I'm an honest, truthful man. I haven't either, Mike. I promise you. That's what I think. Skye, I promise you. I don't believe it. I have no idea who that is. I'll take a lie detector. Stop it. I know who it is. I don't know who it is. I've never heard of this person. Sean, Camoralee Simmons is the CEO for what brand? I think. I'm not how to pick a shirt. I think. Pick a shirt. You know. Here comes the answer. Yeah. Right now. You know this. I don't know. I know. Can I talk? I'm telling you the truth. I've never heard it. Why would we make up not knowing the answer? Because you say that every time. time and then just come out with, like it just appears at the top of your head or something. Because it would be weird that Sean knows this, but I know that he knows it, and I'll tell you why after you get it right. Yeah, I want to know. I'll tell you everything. Would you think I would know, Ash? No. He's so mean to Sean. Well, he's a smart man, and he acts dumb. It's not his fault. Can I get an answer, Sean? Is it baby fat? That is correct, Sean. Of course, baby fat. I don't even know what that is. How does he know Ashley? He knows because Kimora has a reality show, and Sean watches everything.
everything on TV. She does? Yes, she does. On what channel? It all revolved around how she runs Baby Fat. It's like on E. I had no idea. What is the show? Maura and the Fastlane? Yeah, that's exactly what it is. Stop it. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. I have never heard like Maura Lee Simmons, but Sean watches everything on TV, so that was a good question. And was formerly married to Russell Simmons? Yeah. Really? Wow. I don't know that. I'm sorry. That's just not even right. Over to Team Sass. Next up is Ashley. Sorry, we're in the lead. Fairly. Ashley, your question is... Yes. What car company makes the 350Z? Oh, come on. How come I couldn't that? Ashley, what car company makes the 350Z? BMW. That is incorrect. Nissan. It's a Nissan. Albatross. It's a Nissan. Why can't I go second today? I know. Because your girl... Let's go back over to Team Awesome, and it is Boston Rob. Awesome. Come on, Rob. Get it wrong. The score right now is 3-2. The score right now is 3-2. Men are leading. Yeah, we are. All right, Boston Rob. Your question is, what is the name of the judge slash runway coach on America's Next Top Model? What is the name of the judge slash... Eddie's looking at the ceiling. He thinks he might know. I've never seen one episode.
I don't know. My girl is going to kill me. She watches this all the time. We needed Sean to get this question. Who is the judge slash runway coach on America's Next Top Model. A.M.T.M. What? A.M.T.M. It's a great place for coffee and gas. Cheap gas. Very cheap. All I know is Tyra Banks does the whole thing. I'll tell you what, Rob. I'm going to give you four more hours to think about it. I'm going to Wikipedia real quick. We need it. The only name I know is Tyra Banks. Well done. That is incorrect. That is actually incorrect. Mr. J? Oh, that wicked gay dude. Dude, my girl watches this, like, all the time. She makes me record it for her, and I have to, like, stare at the ceiling for half an hour. Is J... It's J. Alexander is the name, is the answer, but is J. Alexander, does he look very distinguished and wear glasses? He's the... He's the African-American one. No, he doesn't look mid-shay. Listen, just because Chantel is here, we can say black. I'm telling you, we don't have to say African-American. I really don't. I prefer you just say black. We can just say black. Yeah, you know what I mean? He's the African-American judge, and he's the runway coach, but he wears, like, really ridiculous outfits, and he'll dress like a female, Mike. You're thinking of Tim Gunn from Project Runway. Yeah, that's what I was thinking of, too. All right. The dude dresses like a chick, and it's...
Weird. So Sky has to get this right, everybody, just so no pressure. Oh, no pressure at all. Hey, look at the big brain on Sky. I'm just letting the audience know. I am going to say before I ask this question, this is not good for Team Awesome. This question is not good for Team Awesome. Is it a ham question? I don't know. And no... No, before anybody makes the joke, it is not about going to the restroom with the door open. Please stop all the ridiculous. Oh, sunburn. Yeah, it has to be a sunburn question. The Kaiser hotline number. Maybe it's a landscape question. Oh, wow. Sky. Please. Your question is, actor played the part of Henry Hill in the movie Goodfellas. Oh. We interviewed him. That's true. We did. She has to know. We spoke. Skye's got that look on her face like, what am I supposed to do about this question? Come on, Squy. Skye is... Who is in Goodfellas? I think we're good to go. I think men may be good to go. Team Awesome may squeak out of this one. Again? Are you for real? I haven't even gone. Listen, she's concentrating here. Again, what actor played the part of Henry Hill in the movie Goodfellas? All the actors I'm thinking of, I don't believe we've talked to. William Cucumber.
Go with your guts, guys. Stop it. Find Ben-Hur. I don't know. I'm thinking... Let me eliminate people. Charles Nelson Reilly. You can't think what you guys are talking to. Charlton Heston. No. Judd Hirsch. No. Stop it. Gordon Dumbwaiter. No. Gumby. No. Eddie Murphy, no. Martin Short. Can I shut up for a second, please? Give her a sec. Martin Lawrence, no. Jenna Reeves. I mean, I am off the list. Eminem. I'm remembering the interview because I know we asked him about things like the scene. Seth Rogen. Joe Rogen. Sky, five seconds. The right brothers. De Niro. I don't know. No, Sky. You are the worst. Sky, it was Ray Liotta. Oh, no. Facial expression didn't change much. That was the face I was seeing. That's right. Leave me alone. We have one last question. Maybe we'll make this worth minus two. We have one last question. Shut up, Eddie. What's the problem, girls? Back over to Eddie.
Eddie, your question is, your final question. Donkeys. Really? It doesn't matter. Eddie, Emma Bunton. Excuse me? I say, Emma Bunton. Emma? Well said. Emma Bunton is more commonly known as what member of the Spice Girls? Ooh. Curry Spice. That's incorrect, Eddie, but you win. Yes. Didn't you say you guys were going to beat us in April? Yes. What happened? Well, April's not over, right, ladies? April's not over. It's just getting started. Who knows? Look at their faces. Oh, they are so pissed. Look at their faces. They're so mad. I'm not happy. Congratulations to Team Awesome. They are still undefeated. I mean,
Have they been mathematically eliminated yet? They have not been mathematically eliminated. Are you sure? They have not. We'll be back after this. This is the Mikey Show. Wow. There was a couple of accidents, one near 28th Street, another one near the Coronado Bridge. That just caused a mess here. There's one of 28th streets involved a motorcycle still blocking the left-hand lanes with the emergency crews. And that has you at a crawl now from the South Bay Freeway all the way up in towards the bridge getting into downtown. You're being advised, oh boy, that's such a freeway. 805 northbound, that's the way to go out of the South Bay right now. That is up to speed and completely clear until you get to Kearney Mesa. And then it still backs up from Balboa here up to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. West 94, the King Freeway, just a minor delay left over here into downtown. Your West 8 ride, that's a good-looking ride.
Pretty nice, all the way to Mission Valley. South 15, a little bit slow through Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch. And the Coastal Ride South on side of the 5, staying tough out of Lucadia into Solana Beach. And once again, the eastbound SeaWorld Drive has been reopened from England at the 5 Freeway. That was closed for a good time this morning as police investigated a shooting there. I'm McLaren, it's on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, it's P1 Tommy. What's up, Tommy? Not much, man, just calling to tell about AIS. What happened? I got a DUI in March, and I was paying $130 a month on my four-wheel drive truck, and now I pay $94 a month after the DUI. Wow, that's pretty awesome. That's freaking awesome, dude. That's great. I appreciate the phone call. I tell people they can help you with a DUI. They can help you with whatever. I've got AIS. Vietnam veteran ever believed our country would take our military, line it up on the border of another nation without being asked, invade that country over government and occupation. Jesse's book is called Ike Show. Uploaded this song as the name Hold Me No. For Shawnee. That's right, it's for Shawnee, oh boy. I appreciate that very much. Hold me no. I have Welcome back. Charmaphobes, hold me note. That's right. It's 820. A newly married Marine couple from Escondido has been reported missing since Monday. Ohio State beats UMass for the NIT championship last night. Look at our life now. Tattoo. Tattoo. Tattoo. Okay. You want to text us? Do it. 35253 is the text number. Ooh, ooh, ooh.
And our phone number to call us is 570-1053. Earlier we announced that P.O.D. is going to be coming into the studio next Wednesday. That's rad. That's right. We're going to give away 10 pair of tickets for people to be able to come and hang out with P.O.D. and see the performance. Yeah, dude. Sick. Real nice. They're real good, real sweet. Yeah. That would be a cool band to be in. I would like to be, I would like to do what Wub does. That would be awesome. Be a drummer in P.O.D. It seems like they have a lot of fun. Yeah, it does. When you're just around them. I remember when we did the big Charger rally and P.O.D. played. That was cool. And I was watching Wov from the side of the stage and it looked like the coolest job. For sure. To be sitting up there playing the drums. And especially when you're good at it. When you're real good, it's a lot better. If you guys could be in a band. Who would you be and what band would it be? Wow. Oh, man. Loaded question. Brain sprain. That's right. You could pick a band. You could be whoever in the band. Now, everybody here in the studio is thinking you could see it. You could see the wheels turning. Eddie, who would you be in? Well, you know, my favorite band is Pearl Jam. It's my favorite band of all time. And I wouldn't want to be in their band. Why? I wouldn't want to be in their band because of their politics.
Because they really talk about their politics. They are big-time Democrat liberals guys, and they love to talk about it on stage. Nice. And I'm sure that if they talk about it on stage, that's all they talk about off stage. Oh, boring. So I would not fit in the band. So I wouldn't want to be in that band. I think I would want to be the drummer for Van Halen. Alex Van Halen? Yeah, kick Alex out. Yeah. Because he's uncomfortable to look at. Yeah. And... It's a great... I like that there's only four guys in the band. Everybody knows the four guys in Van Halen. Yeah. So I would be known, you know, like a lot of drummers, they don't know who they are. Right. I don't want to be a front man. I want to be in the back. Yeah. I want to be a drummer in Van Halen. Would you wear the headband? Come on. Of course, right? Yeah, of course. Hello. Sick. Sky. Well, that's tough because I think of my life now, and to be honest, I wouldn't want to be. in a rock band with my life now. I don't want to tour. I don't want to be on the road. I kind of like living the simple old lady life. But prior... Simple lady life. The old lady life. Simple lady. My lovely lady life. It's the name of my reality show. That's right. But if we're talking pre-Bunnyboo...
There is no life before pre-bunning. Well, that's true. I mean, there barely wasn't. But if we're talking that time... You know, back when the sugar buns was, you know, nice and sexy. Tight, Mike. Yes, yes. I mean, they're still sexy. Don't get me wrong. Thank you, just in a different... That's right. Flabby, flabby way. Back then, there were mini Cinnabons, okay? But I think... So back in the day, if I were to have to be in a band or whatever, I would want to be Stevie Nicks in Fleetwood Mac. Whoa. Think about it. Wow. Think about it. Wow. That is shocking. It was a short time. It was only, what, like maybe eight years that she was in Fleetwood Mac. And there was so much living packed in that eight years with, you know, affairs and drugs and partying. And I would live a lot in those years. And I would have a lot of fun. And then I'd move on with my life. No, see, just the Fleetwood Mac time. But Steven Nix went solo. No, I just said Fleetwood Mac. And then I'd go back to Bunny Boo.
in Escondido and plays my cats. All mystical with the dresses all flowing and everything. She was good looking, too. I love it. Oh, yeah. Until she ate the band. Yes, she did. Shut up. She swallowed the entire band. Y'all get older. Hungry in her older years. True. Whatever. Here goes Mick. Mick! Shawnee, who would you be? Oh, no. No, here we go. Don't say it, because we know. I do not know. It's going to be 80s, something 80s. George Michael. Boy George. Yeah, something with George. I hope not. Triangle player for the Wiggles. No. I would want to be... Depeche Mode. The entire band. Well, not the entire band, just one of the keyboard players. The keyboard players, yeah. Sean's a fan of the keys. Fucking lie. Dude, I would absolutely...
For a DM? I so want to be part of Depeche Mode. Are you kidding me? Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. It's a long shoot. Play it. Play it, you brown little man. There's Sean. That's right. Look how happy Sean is. Yeah. Sean is flipping his bangs out of his face. He loves it. He's got a massive tie. Keyboard. After this song, it's great because he does his piano solo. Really? The audience flips out on it. Yeah, they love it. Then they play strobes. He goes offstage, puts more mascara on, and comes back on stage. That's really weird. What's so weird about that? Whoa. Sean, your cape is caught in the door. I can so picture it. Can you imagine? That would be great. I'd become a fan just for that. Yep.
Thank you. What about you, Ashley? This is the easiest question in the world. What did she just say? This is the easiest question in the world. I believe what she said is this is the easiest question in the world. Somebody slap her. She's choking. Obviously, I would be my idol Gwen Stefani from No Doubt. Of course. Not Fergie? Yeah, see, I thought you'd be Fergie. Nope, Gwen Stefani. Would you be No Doubt Gwen or would you be solo Gwen? Well, that's the thing is I would be No Doubt Gwen because then she went on to do her solo thing and now she's getting back with No Doubt. I like that she's... Yeah, if you're Gwen, you're Gwen, right? You're Gwen, you're Gwen. That's why when Sky said she was Stevie Nicks, I was like, oh, so then you go solo. No, I'm only Fleetwood Mac. No, see, yeah, I would prefer to live Gwen's entire life. Get married to Gavin. Oh, that's a good point. But see, I thought you'd be Fergie because Fergie's got the, like, the hip-hop thing going on with the peas and then also her solo. Yeah, but Fergie was addicted to math. Oh, that's a good point. That was the point where I don't like. So that's one of the pros. I don't think I'm into that. She's kept it together.
completely reinvents herself all the time, and she's my idol, and I would love to be with her. I'm surprised, because, you know, you did pee yourself at street scene that one time. Now, wait a second. That was a whole other situation. Why do you like Gwen? What is it about Gwen that appeals to you? Oh, my God. What is not to like? You like it all. I mean, do you mean physically? Do you mean her personality? Do you mean her music? Do you mean all of the above? Yeah, I mean her personality. I love how she, um... She has, I've been a fan of her since I was like eight years old. Well, who hasn't? She has managed to completely stay in the know, reinvent herself, yet stay out of the paparazzi's way. She's got the hottest husband in the world, this beautiful baby. She's got the most kick-ass body. She's, I love her bleach blonde hair. I love that she can pull off any style. I just, I love her. Boston Rob. Oh, boy. Here we go. Oh, no. Drab kick meffies. All right, all right. Doggy body. Huey Lewis. Hello, the band Boston. Yeah. No. I was thinking instrument-wise, because I've played quite a few instruments. Oh, excuse us. Right there. So, yeah, dude, it would be Fleetwood Mac for me, too. Yeah. Stevie Nicks. Stevie Nicks. No, because Dropkick Murphys, they've got a bagpipe player, and I would think that would be so cool to learn, but what I would really... I would play the skin flute in the Pet Shop Boys. Is that what you would do, Rob?
No, I would want to be your favorite instrument. Jim Morrison and the Doors. I've read a book called Burn Down. Weren't you Jim Morrison and the Doors a couple years ago? Yeah, actually, now I think about it. People are strange. Where's my partner? Cluck, cluck, cluck. What are all you people? Yeah. Awesome. But just for a short while. Well, that was Jim Morrison. Yeah, until you died. Let me play the greatest or a song, in my opinion. Okay. This is going to be controversial. I just like it because it was in a podcast. You got that right, Eddie. Yeah. You got that part right. Because it's not the best. It's the creepiest. Yeah, this is a pretty good one, Mike. Not going to lie. This is great. This is a good one. Thank you, Eddie. I still know what you're saying. That's my sentimental favorite. And then here's my... Yes, there it is. Yeah. It's a great song. We're all so good. Sing it, Rob. That's a good choice, Rob. Dude. That's a cool choice. If you've never read Burn Down the Night, pick up this book. It's... A guy wrote it who partied with him on, like, a three-day bender. Yeah? And... Pretty good. It's insane. Like, the amount of drugs that he took and the things that went on, like, it's a trip. I can't even explain. How old was Morrison at the time? This was in his heyday.
Like, it picks up, the book picks up right at a party. It's like some keg party up in one of those beaches up in L.A. And he bumps into this guy, the guy who wrote the book, and right away, like, they start dropping acid and pills, and the book just takes off. It's insane. Burn down the night. Let's go to Zethian, oh, Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, Jr., the third. This is going to be interesting. Rosie Esquire. Yes. Please say Tom or Mark from Blink-182 because they'll look like them. He looks like them? It would be... I'm going to take a guess. I'm going to guess the guy that came out on NSYNC. I'm going to guess Connie Wilson. Really veiled that one, didn't you, Mark? I think it's the girl from Portishead. Lead whip in Devo. Eddie's right. I was thinking like... It would probably have to be based on the vibe of the band members and the music. So I don't know if I could do something like Rob, where it's Jim Morrison, where he's kind of... That is not your personality. You're very sensitive. Not so much. Yes. So I was thinking about it, and it would probably be Eric Wilson, who is the bass guitar player for Sublime. Oh, yeah.
I thought it was... That's a pretty hard partying band too. Yeah, that's a very hard partying. Yeah, Brad Knoll was. I mean, the other guys were more... So he's like, you're partying on the fringe. Yeah. You're not the center of the party. Yeah, I'm just kind of... I'm playing the bass, man. You're just over here having a little beer. Playing with the dog. You should have been Brian Wilson from the B-Boys. More his vibe. We were talking about Sublime a couple of weeks ago because we were like, what would have happened if he had lived? Oh, dude. What would that music be like that we'd be hearing now? This is the album. I would take on a desert island. Really? Yep. I'd take 40 ounces. He means actual 40 ounces with him to the island. I don't need music. There it is. That's good stuff. How about you guys? How about anybody in the studio? Does anybody in the studio have a definitive one that you would do? What would you do? Yeah, yeah. For Primus? Huh? How about anybody else? Yeah, dude. Yeah. I didn't even think of Cutlass. Yeah, dude. Yeah, dude. How about you guys? Yeah. In the heyday?
In the heyday? I would have wanted to have been his tongue. Heather. Gwen Stefani or, I mean, Madonna. She's not a band, but I mean, I'd take her life any day. There you go. No, I said I'd be Wov from the drummer for P.O.D. That looks like a fun job. Well, perfect, Mike, because they're coming in next week. so maybe you can ask love if you can like just swap out for a set just sit in sit in and just be like just for a set I like it I like it a lot do a song that wouldn't sound good the mismatch girls are coming in and I'm gonna explain to you who the mismatch girls are they're from San Diego they wanted to come in and tell everybody what they're all about text us if you want 35253 is the text number and we'll be right back

Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Curdie Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on Costco. Sleep Train was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something. So they beat that, which is awesome.
They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? And they wanted to come in and they wanted to tell the world about what they do. They're called the mismatch girls. And so we're going to bring them into the studio right now. And what they do is they're like dating experts. Is that right, Eddie? Yes. They just they teach you about dating. Pretty much. Yeah. They know things that we don't know. Or what's the deal?
Yeah, for the most part. I mean, they have advice and things like that. So they don't actually, like, hook people up. They just advise you on your dating life? Here they are. It's the Mismatch Girls. It's the Mismatch Girls. How are you guys doing? How are you? I need you right into that microphone. Yeah, you can just pull it and move it around. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can grab it. Close to your mouth. And woman handle that. Okay, I got it. Nice. So, you guys are the Mismatch Girls, and you're the authors of Mismatch, a seriously funny look at dating. Now, I'm guessing that this stuff applies to both men and women, right? We've really been surprised how the men are really enjoying this book. Yeah? My father believes it's the best bathroom book he's ever read. Really? Wow. Nice, nice. And you guys are from San Diego, right? Yes. How did you get the idea? What gave you guys the idea to do this? Well, about 10 years ago, I was sitting down with a 72-year-old woman who became my drinking partner. Random? Yeah. From church choir, actually. Wow. And every week, we would get together on Thursdays, and I would share dating stories. And every week, she would say, you need to write these down. You need to write these down. Well, last year, she turned 82. And we raised a glass of champagne, and we said, this is the year we're going to write the book. Really? And I brought Audrey in because she has hilarious stories.
So did Audrey provide you with stories, or Audrey, were you kind of an expert on this stuff as well? I don't know. We've been together. She and I have been friends for 13 years, so we've been making these stories for 13 years. So we just kind of decided to finally put them down in writing. Okay, and it's all about your guys' dating experience. Correct. They're all true stories. Okay, and you guys have learned a lot from doing this, right? You would think so. Oh, boy. Yeah, are either of you currently seeing anyone? I am, yes. You've got a boyfriend. Yes. Now, well, what about you? Do you have a boyfriend? No. You do not. Now, you have all this advice. You have all this good stuff. You have all the information. You just got to put it into use or what's the deal? Well, if you read the book, it's more of a what not to do sort of thing from first experience. And we put it in a very funny way. And one day, one day we'll make it work. One of the things that I thought was pretty interesting that you guys talk about, this applies to men and women. is the whole car flirting thing. What? So you're on the freeway, and you're flirting with the person in the car next to you, which, now, I will tell you, even if I were single, that would not be my thing. Doesn't make it wrong, it just wouldn't be my thing. Why? Well, because I would think that the girl would think that that's creepy. Okay. But it's purely innocent. I mean, you're not in a van with all the windows blacked out. That's the only thing that would separate you, you know what I mean? That's our favorite type of guy to flirt with.
It says here that according to Avis Rentals, 72% of women questioned have admitted to car flirtation. 65% of the men have admitted to car flirtation. So, ladies, what is car flirtation? And that's admitting. Yeah, that's saying they did it. That's it? What is car flirtation? Explain it. Well, what we've done and what I'm looking forward to doing in the future is I'm actually going to get a car magnet on the side of my car and just paste it on the side and say, single. put my number because then that just makes it really easy and open for people. You can't do that. No, you can't do that. Why not? Because then you open yourself up to prank phone calls. I said go for it. Crazy people. Weirdos and crazy people. Well, I like, you know, don't tell the DMV, but instead of putting my hands at 10 and 2, I like to put the left hand, the ring finger right there at noon and show that off right there. Like, oh, look a little single. And then I tilt my mirror a little bit, maybe put on some lipstick. Make some kissy faces and look to the left and desperation. It really is. It's hot. Sexy. Let me ask you, ladies. Let me ask you. Francis, Audrey. We have Francis and Audrey in the studio. They wrote The Mismatch Girls, a seriously funny look at dating. So you guys have experience with the car flirtation. That's how you know about this topic. And tell me, when you're in the car, what was the... And you said, these are all things that you say, don't do it.
So you're saying no to car flirtation, right? We're saying get out there and date. And if you're meeting someone on the freeway, if that's a way to boost your confidence, desperation or not, if that's the step you need to take. What's it look like? What does car flirtation look like in terms of describe it to us? Because I've never done it, and I don't know what it would look like coming from a woman. So when a woman is flirting, is it what you said? Hand on the steering wheel to show that she doesn't have... A wedding ring, is that car flirtation from a woman? Well, for me, it's the subtle past. You drive up next to somebody, you smile, you look over at them, and then you drive in front of them. If they come back and drive in front of you, then the game is on. Really? Yes. I swear to you, I've never heard that. I had no idea. Or else they're practicing road rage. We're not really sure. One or the other. Sorry. Because I would think that if you look over and there's a guy and he's doing something to flirt with you, I would think most ladies would be creeped out and be like, That's just, I don't know you. It's really sexy when a guy follows you home. Yes. From the freeway. Yes. You know. That's right. Has to ask you out or follows you in the house or whatever. I know. Pressing any body parts against the glass is not really preferred. That's not hard. That's not hard. Well, see, there goes my whole move. Before we switch from. Because it reaches ladies. So before we switch from the topic, how does a guy do it? What's a good way for a guy to do this with a lady?
Maybe just an innocent wave, or maybe you can hold up a business card that has your phone number on it. I don't know. What? No. Or your wallet, like in how much money you make, because that's what they like. Don't you think that that's creepy, though? Audrey, what do you think? To me, again, it's the same thing. If the guy's looking back at you and hoping that he's not looking through to the other car next to you, but if the guy's looking back at you, then he's giving that subtlety back. In other words, if it's mutual. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It really works well if you are commuting. Like right now. And have you ever wound up next to the same person on your commute from Monday through Friday? That would be kind of cool, right? Or very creepy. You guys think that would be creepy? Ashley and Rob, you guys think that would be creepy? Oh, no. I was just saying that's totally like... Strange to have a guy. Yeah. Just like, whoa. Do you think it would be weird to have a guy flirt with you when you're on the freeway, Ash? Oh, I hate that. I think it's creepy and inappropriate and gross. I would think that most chicks would. I think it normally has to be female initiated.
Oh, okay. That's my whole thought. Maybe that's the thing. Ash, have you ever done it? Never. So fellas don't like drive up to a lady, start beeping. Yes. Look angry, wave a gun. Wave a gun. Tell them to pull over. That's not a way to flirt. Look at the statistics again. Look at the statistics. Everyone's out there doing it. I bet there's tons of people out there right now, car flirting, looking at the person right next to you in your car. Give it a shot. I've heard about that before. And I've also heard about, you know, like flirting at the grocery store. I've never had the guts to flirt at like a grocery store. I don't know how they do that. Are you guys advocates of grocery store flirting or no? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You say yeah. Grocery stores, bookstores. Yeah. Does this cucumber look ripe? I don't know, ladies. Rob holds up a couple of cantaloupes. Hey, ladies. Which one looks fresher? Is this carrot bent? I can't throw it. Easy, guys. Sorry. Sorry. Write down the time. The road from rejection. No one appeals to everyone's taste. We all have preferences. So if they reject you, it just means that you don't fit the description of what they desire. You guys say, get over the whole concept of rejection. Is that right? Absolutely. Yeah, the best way to get over rejection is just to put yourself out there and be rejected a few times. I mean, you're never going to know if that guy sitting across the bar who you think is really cute is into you unless...
Maybe you wave at him. Now, Eddie, I thought you had a point, though. It seems, and it's just me, but ladies, is that if a woman does that, if a woman is the initiator with the wave, it does not give off a sense of desperation? You're saying, no, it doesn't do that? I don't think so. No. You don't want to throw yourself at somebody. I mean, car flirting is a whole separate... issue because in a car you're not going to pull over the side of the road and make something happen. But in a bar, if you initiate subtly and it's not welcome, then you walk away. Ash, would you do it? It wouldn't necessarily maybe be my vibe, but I see what she's saying. If you do a little coy kind of smile and wave. Hair flip. Here's another thing. You could be really good at the hair flip, Betty. I used to have a mullet. Francis Rostick, am I pronouncing that correctly? You are, yeah. Francis Rostick and Audrey Lachance are in the studio, and they have a book called Mismatch, a seriously funny look at dating. I have a question. Go ahead, Eddie. You guys are San Diego gals. What's a good place locally that you would recommend to go? This might be a good place to meet a dude. It's a good one. Absolutely never gone wrong at the waterfront. Where is that? Waterfront, it's down on...
Kettner. Kettner. Oh, I know what you're talking about. That place. You know what? That place. Dive Bar. But great live music. It has a delicious grilled cheese. Yes. How about that? And chili. You got to get the chili and dip the grilled cheese in the chili. Okay, take it easy. It's so good. Or the spot in La Jolla. Yeah. It's another good one? Yes, and if you're there on Thursday nights and you see me. Big, tall, blonde girl drinking with an 82-year-old woman. Yeah, come say hi. Come on, fellas. Now, what if you're not into the bar scene? Are there other places besides the bar scene? Like the zoo? Wild Animal Park? Yeah, it's a wonderful place. If you're into animals, then that's wonderful. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean. Yeah, what if you're a furry? Is there a place? Sean. I mean, besides the convention center, is there a... I mentioned bookstores earlier, the ballpark, anything social that's going to... There you go. If you're looking for someone, there are so many sites available. If you go to our website, which is mismatchbook.com, there's a list of different dating sites. There's also meetups in San Diego where people can go. There's a hiking one if you're into hiking or Sierra Singles. There are so many avenues out there to explore for dating. It's fun. I think it's probably a lot harder for women.
Because women are traditionally supposed to be the ones that are getting pursued. And guys, they have it a little bit easier because at least they can sort of, if they see something that they like, they can go for it. Whereas a woman, traditionally, if they see something they like, it's hard to go, hey, I'm available for you. And it just, it trips me out how many women I meet that are, you know, young, beautiful, some young, some older, beautiful, like really have their stuff together women that are single. Wish that they could meet a guy. And their biggest complaint is. Is that all the good ones are taken. And I'd like to say that that's a cliche. And you're shaking your head no. I'm thinking a lot of those good ones really are taken. And you've got to wait until they get out of a relationship. It's like a game of. Sky what's that game where you walk around the. Duck duck goose. Musical chairs. Either way. But you know what I'm saying. There's usually a certain amount of men. And a certain amount of women. And a certain age group. And you've got to wait. It gets difficult, but you're saying, you're saying, Francis, you're saying, no, there's plenty of great guys out there that are available to you. There are. There are plenty of guys that are out there. The Internet has opened up an entire world of dating. Easy, guys. Whatever you're into. I do have to say, though, I read a statistic. There's 152 women, 152 million women in the United States now and 149 million men. So really, it's no wonder.
that there are so many single women. There is a guy on the phone says he's flirting on the freeway and it worked. No, come on. P1 Derek, are you there? How you doing, Mikey? Good, you're flirting right now, right? I am, actually. I got a little swerving on the road trying to look at this girl. All right, now, I want to figure this out. I want to see how this works. Is she listening, too? Maybe she can give some kind of a sign right now if she's listening as well. That'd be sweet. Hey, Derek. Hey, Derek. Are you really flirting with somebody right now or were you just... No, not right now. Okay, well, let's ask you questions then. Okay. Are you currently in a relationship with a girl that you flirted with on the freeway? I just got out of one, actually. You just got out of it? Just got out, not too long, about three weeks ago. Okay, how long were you in the relationship? You know, I think it was more of a casual thing because of the way we met. It seemed a little awkward. Yeah. But I guess it went either way. So tell me how it happened. Yeah. All right, so I was driving downtown from Poway, and I just happened to have my truck for sale, and it just happens to have my phone number on the back of it. So I'm following this girl, and we start making eye contact, and she's trying to figure out my number, what it is. I'm trying to do the whole showing the hands with the number, and I ended up pointing to my back window. I had my number on it, and she wrote it down and gave me a call. Really? Yeah. How long after that?
you know, first interchange did it take for her to call you? Call me right down the freeway. Really? How long did you talk? Cell phones. Yeah, how long did you talk? How long did you talk? Derek? Yeah, Derek, how long did you talk when she called you? Derek, come in. Hello, hello, yes? Oh, no. Hello, hello, Derek, yes, hello, come in. Would we call that love it? Yeah, exactly. Wow. We lost Derek, and I wanted to hear more about that. I want to know how that works. So moral of the story, guys, put your phone number on the back of your trucks. That's right. That's what we're saying. It does work. Let's see. P1 Scotty to Hottie is on the line. Oh, no. Scotty to Hottie. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? I have a question for these ladies. Us guys know where to meet them. I don't have a problem meeting women. It's closing the deal. When you're flirting with them in traffic or, you know, around town, what do women like to hear? How do you close that deal? Francis, Audrey? It depends on what you want. I mean, you really have to be honest with what you want. Are you looking for a casual relationship? Are you looking for long-term? What are you looking for, hottie? Actually, long-term, casual. I mean, just getting in the door. Foot in the door. Yeah, just getting your foot in the door there.
I mean, I drive around in a construction truck a good chunk of the day. I flirt with women in traffic all day long. Well, let's clarify. Because Francis says it kind of depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for something casual or are you looking for a relationship? So, Francis, what would be examples of the two different things? If you're looking for something casual or if you're looking for a relationship, what will close the deal with each thing? Well, it has to be mutual on both ends. If it's a casual thing and you take someone home from the bar, then that's closing the deal on that end. But if you want long term... Yeah, no, but how do you... He's saying, how do you close the deal? And you're saying, well, it depends on what you're looking for. And so I'm going, okay, so what would it sound like the each different way? Just ask. Just be completely honest. Go out and tell what you want. Well, no, I was just going to say, again, we're experts, but we are still... working on this. If we had the answer, it really is all about being yourself. You don't want somebody who's going to fake being something to get in a relationship with you. And as a woman, flattery always works. But there's a fine line between flattery and desperation. And once you figure that out, then you can work it. I think it's all in the matter of how you say it. I think it's all in the voice. I was talking to my brother.
And just being comfortable with yourself, too. That is hugely attractive. You can just tell a guy who is desperate versus a guy who is very secure in himself. Rob and Seth. That's right. They're both... Oh, you gotta switch it. Seth is a desperate one. My bad. My bad. No need to attack. My bad. Here's the thing. You have to... Sorry, Seth. If you're a guy, you have to be... You know, you gotta be a lion, man. You can't be a... I don't know. What's a wimpy animal? Well, not wimpy, but a kitten. Salamander. You can't be a salamander. You gotta be a lion. You can't be a little feral kitty. Meow. You know what's really good to me? I love a guy who has a sense of humor, too. And even if you have to memorize a few jokes or something, something witty, that's very attractive to me. Sense of humor. And someone who can growl like that. Mike, you're creeping everyone. out. All right, sorry. For sure. Fine. Ant's marching. Ant's marching. Nice. Poor Sky. Thank you. Hey, listen, Francis Rostick and Audrey Lachance, thank you guys for coming in. Well, you distinctly have two. Yeah, I know. I had him wax it at Supercuts. The stylist recommended it, and I figured, why not? Did you say whacked or waxed? Whoa, wax, wax. Hey, it didn't cost a lot. She did it while she cut my hair. Killed two birds with one stone, so to speak. I know nothing about any killings, and I do not know you, sir. Dirty Dells is the company that brought in the sandwiches, so thank you very much to Dirty Dells. Flip.
Here is a couple of text messages that we've received. Whoa. Mikey, I just... Rude. He's enjoying some chips. Mikey, I just got a number from a girl on the freeway that's P1 Turkey Bacon. Liar. You do not believe he did? No. I don't either. Call and improve it. Mikey, I met my boyfriend in a Spanky's port-a-potty on a job site. Who hasn't? Yeah, who amongst us can't say that? Right. And he's amazing. That's signed P1 Steena. You wanted to say Stinka, didn't you? I did. So bad, too. Yeah, we all did. We all wanted to say Stinka. That's another variation I was thinking of. Mikey, I just pulled up to a red light, and the girl in the car was listening to your show, too, and turned to me, winked, and blew a kiss. Whoa! P1, I can't feel my face. I don't believe that either. No! Could be Missy. Could be Missy? Yeah. Next one says, Mikey, you almost had it right.
It's the girl that wants a challenge. She wants to be on safari. She wants to bag a lion. P1 Chimuko. Yeah, Chimuko. But the only thing is that the chicks can't go bag the lions. That's not in their nature. It's in our nature to bag the chicks. Yeah, but we want a lion. We don't want the baby cub coming sniffing around. That's right. You want the lion. We want the lion circling and smelling. And you take all the lion's money. What? You know that old thing. Next thing you know, the lion's like, yeah, great. Thanks. Here, here. Here, here. Here, here. Here, here, here, king of the jungle. Half the savannah. That guy ain't calling either, man. I don't believe it. Who, TB? Turkey bacon? Turkey bacon. That's right. fire today. What is up with you? He just had something to eat. What do you want? I'm feeling good. He's feeling good. He's going out to party tonight. Yeah, we are. Now I get a chip offer. No, thank you. I didn't offer them to you. You said I have chips. Skye, are you going to party like it's 1999? I'm thinking about it. Ashley and I are trying to find out if we're going to be getting our groove on tonight.
There's going to be some tunes. Someone's going to be spinning the ones and twos. That's a discussion that I have not had yet with the boo. We have gone on to the Hard Rocks website to make sure there are rooms available for the evening. Just in case there's some glug, glug, glug. Do it. Make it a romantic occasion. Well, if you're staying there, you don't have to worry about it. But if you're not, you've got to have a designated driver. That is correct, Eddie. Safety first. Which one? Well, like I just said, we haven't had that discussion yet. Well, how could it possibly be Skye? Right. Doesn't she have dibs? Because it's her friend. Well, no, I'm friends with her husband, though. But you're better friends with Skye. I see Skye more than that. You guys are best friends. Don't be a jerk. You guys are best friends. So you're saying, Eddie, that it's possible. I'm not saying this is the fact. I'm just saying what you're saying is that it's possible you're better friends with her husband than you are with her. It's possible. I'm not saying it's true. But here's the deal. I like to party with her husband. I don't see him as much as I see Skye. So, you know, I wouldn't mind having a couple of pops with that guy. But Skye is when she drinks. Well, a couple of pops is no big deal. The boo's pretty good, too, though. He starts to dance and does the noodle and stuff. That's true. It's a signature dance move. We call it the noodle. What is the noodle? Whatever it is. I already love it. Let's see. Really? That is silly. That's not really a move. That's silly.
That is the noodle. Maybe I don't want him to drink. No, so we'll have a discussion and we'll figure out who's going to be the DD. Well, I can't wait to see how that goes down. So you're saying that it should be Sky? That should be the DD? No, I'm saying... That Sky should be allowed to drink is what I mean? Well, yeah. To me, that's a... I was surprised that that's a discussion. Yeah, she's got friends dibs. You got friends dibs? I could not... Listen, if I still drank... I am friends with Rebecca's friend Lori now too. But if it was her birthday, I couldn't be the guy. She couldn't be the DD. That would not be possible. It would not be possible. And I couldn't say to her, well, I'm friends with Lori too. I couldn't say that. It's impossible. And you don't want to have to say the next part. But if you're forced to say it, you got to go, well, yeah, I know that we're both friends. The one that met him. But that's such a childish conversation. You shouldn't even have to say it. Yeah. But what also I think plays into this is we don't go out at all. Like we never, ever go out. It's simple then. Stay at the Hard Rock. Yeah. It's very simple. Totally the best. Take a night of it. But if not, it's, you know. But, you know, I'm a little, you know, I'm a little frugal sometimes. Come on. It's a beautiful place. I'd love to experience it.
But I, you know, if it's more than a dollar, it's a little expensive. Well, Skye, that's fine. But that just means that somebody's got to be D.D. Well, there'll be a discussion after the show. Come on, boo. Hey. It's my birthday. Friends, remember? I'm friends with your husband. Well, yeah, but you were friends with me first. It doesn't mean anything. It means everything. In drinking terms, it doesn't. It means everything to me. Yesterday. Yesterday, a man named Thomas Beattie appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. He is pregnant. Yep, six months. Oh, my God. He was born a she, and she became a he, removed her breasts surgically, kept her female genitalia and organs, and because she kept it and got into a relationship now with a woman,
She's in a relationship with a woman, right, Skye? Mm-hmm. Yes, she's married. This is very alternative. It's very alternative. I don't care for it. She was turned into a he, and his name is now Thomas Beattie, and is six months pregnant, Skye? Yep. The baby girl. That sounds very confusing. Cut 12. My father, he pushed me into modeling at the time. Weren't you Miss Teen Hawaii? Well, I was in a pageant. I was in a pageant. I was Miss Teen Hawaii USA finalist. Wow. Yeah. And what do you think when you see those pictures now? Well, I think that's an attractive woman. Yeah, definitely. I just, I wish I felt comfortable looking like that. I don't feel like I was born in the wrong body. I felt like I was meant to be exactly who I am today. What are you? Guy. You're not a guy. If you're getting pregnant, you're not a guy. Sorry. Well, legally, according to the state, I believe, of Oregon, it's a man. As an Oregon? In Oregon. The state of Oregon considers him a man. Well, guess what? He's not. He looks like a man. Too bad. Men can't get pregnant. God. Men can't get pregnant. Why did she not get a penis?
Because he wanted to have a child, a biological child someday. Then you're not a he. See, and that goes against what she's saying. What? Well, she's saying, I never felt like I was a girl in a guy's body. I felt like I was always this person that I am today. Which is to say, you always felt like a man. But if you truly always felt like a man, we don't ever want to be pregnant. Yeah, if you truly felt like a man, you wouldn't want to keep your female body parts. You wouldn't want to. It's not our instinct to want to be pregnant or want to not have. But it is a woman's instinct. It's a part of a woman's makeup to be like, one day I'd like to have children. Kind of, yeah. Well, and what I don't understand, and I didn't watch the Oprah interview, so I don't know if he's married to a woman, why isn't she having their child? That's a great question. Maybe she couldn't.
Uh, that's one thing, but maybe it's also because she's, no, she's still identifying with being a woman. I don't think that. I think, I think it's because this gets them publicity is what I think. Well, yeah. For what? Why would you want that? Because you're on Oprah, but you don't want that. But that means that you would have done, you would have had a mastectomy to go on the Oprah show. Right. This isn't this guy's first time being pregnant. This guy was pregnant before but didn't carry to term. Don't say that. And so – Well, what makes him a guy? You say this guy. What makes him a guy? Like if she had gotten an operation where she had a penis now, I'd say – I mean I think it's bizarre and not unnatural. But I would at least at that point I would say – I could see the argument of saying he. But in this situation, you're talking about someone with a vagina and a womb and a female. Kind of has a mustache. Okay, so does my aunt. According to his anatomy, he is a woman. According to the state of Oregon and according to him, he is a man. I wonder what the state of Oregon bases that on other than maybe him marking the box male.
But, I don't know, I just... You know what else screams to me? It just does. Is the whole concept of the father pushing her into modeling as a teenage girl. Like, that somehow screwed her head up. Could be. And made the whole man and woman thing weird for her. Yeah, because if the state didn't recognize him as a man, he couldn't be legally married. And they're legally married as a man and a woman. Oprah asks... Thomas if he had any boyfriends as a teenager. Cut 13. Did you have boyfriends? I did have boyfriends. I had a couple of boyfriends. Looking like that, I would say you probably did. You had a couple of boyfriends? I had a couple of secret admirers. But I felt like I was pushed into it. I felt like that's what I had to do in society. I didn't. I didn't have boyfriends. And the reason that I didn't is because That isn't what came natural to me. She had boyfriends. Because she said she felt pushed into it. Okay. That, to me, I'm just going to call it like I see it. You disagree. I think that's BS. It's easy to say now. Because now you want to say anything that will support... I think any homosexual person would say that. That as a child growing up, they were forced into society's standards. Wait a minute. We're not talking about a homosexual here.
Well, this is someone who was born a woman who is married to another woman. If we're talking about... And that's homosexuality. Hang on a second. If we're talking about a homosexual here, then I would... Whole different conversation. But we are. Maybe I say that, maybe I don't. Why are we talking about homosexual? We're talking about a homosexual person who became transgendered. Wait a minute. First of all... Born a woman. She's not going to say she's homosexual. Well, not anymore because she's now a man. But prior to the surgery... She would say she was homosexual. But the only thing the surgery did. Well, then why does she love women? Why was she born a woman? Because she thinks she's a man. Well, now, yeah. She always felt like a man. She's saying, Skye. And that's what I'm trying to say to Mike. She felt pressured. That's not a homosexual. And if you always felt like a man. Man. Woman. See? That should be her theme song. Yeah, just sing that all the time. Okay. Well, that clears it up then. Tranquilize a dart or something. You know what? Yes. Shania Twain. How about this one? Okay. Thomas says. Yeah. He was shocked that some people in the transgender community did not want him to appear on the show. Why, Eddie? Well, you're ruining their cause. You know, you're basically saying, you know, when you're transgender and you want to become a male, then you want to become a male. You don't want to become pregnant. Males don't become pregnant. It doesn't make any sense. Thank you. I think that the legitimate, well, I think that the transgender community is going,
Thanks. Yeah. Great. Yeah, great. Yeah, there's no halfsies. It's either you're all in or you're not. Exactly. Thomas talks about having the breasts removed, cut 15. And so you first started with testosterone, and then you made the decision to have your breasts removed. Yes. They removed my nipples and reshaped them and graft them. Don't they remove them, reshape them, and then push them up or something, don't they? Yeah, they basically remove the glands and pull the skin down and, you know, put your nipples back on. Then put your nipples back on. That's hysterical. P1 Molly has some information. Molly, are you there? Molly, you there? Yes, I am. Go ahead. Hey. I just want to say I am embarrassed that Oprah allowed this woman on her show. She has lowered herself to Jerry Springer's level. This is a woman who had a breast reduction, and she was off her testosterone for a long time because she was having periods, obviously. And just because Oregon felt like that they could put that down and say, oh, this is a man because she marked the right box, that makes Oregon the West Coast Vermont. Shame on them. They look embarrassing, and Oprah looks embarrassing. Sky, what say you?
I say that's ridiculous. I say, you know what? Real people live their lives like this. People love each other regardless of gender. And if people are motivated by love, I can't say anything bad about that. You know, that's their life. They can live it. I don't think there's any shame in loving another human being. Absolutely. I am totally cool. If I were to meet this woman. And why do you hate on Vermont? And why are you hating on Oregon? Why are you hating? Vermont just has a stereotype that it's just. But you're hating on gay marriage. And gay marriage is. I'm absolutely not hating this person. I'm saying that this is a woman who's having a baby. And if she wants to call herself a man. That's fine. But technically, yes, there we go. She is a woman. She's having a baby. She looks like a man, but she's still a woman having a baby. That's just a fact. That's a scientific fact. According to science. I have no hate for this person. I have no hate for transgenders. I have no hate for anybody like that. I would respect this person if I met them. But they're like a sideshow freak to you.
No, she didn't say that. Well, she said this is like Jerry Springer. She said this is like Jerry Springer and shame on Oprah. It's that Oprah has lowered herself to Jerry Springer, giving this woman the, you know, acknowledgement of saying that she can call herself a man. Yeah, I took the Jerry Springer thing as that she's just trying to be sensational. You know, not necessarily that there was... Sideshow freaks. The sideshow freak aspect. I thought that it was... I took it like that, though. Well, you are a sideshow freak. Were her ratings low or something? Did she feel like she desperately needed to do that? Because here we are today talking about why was this woman even on her show? I don't know. Thank you, Molly. P1 Stelio is on the line. Hey, Mikey. How are you doing? Good, man. What's up? I just wanted to bring up, you know, we're really focusing on, you know, this man slash woman. You've got to wonder how the child's going to turn out after being born and realizing that the child's dad had her instead of the mom. I mean, I don't think that's going to be a little confusing to the child. I don't know, but guys, I may be able to shed some light on you. No, George Sakai, there is no reason for you to weigh in on this subject.
What do you guys think? I'm in my second trimester. You're not pregnant. You have a glow. You have a glow to you. I do. And if you guys have a cup of coffee, I can help you out here. Hey, check this out. Got this email. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted. that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest world-class Paris plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. Two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man.
My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris plush. She really deserves a good mattress to sleep on, and I can't wait to sleep on it with her. Signed, P1 Norfus. You want that to be your story? Sleep trains are everywhere. Check one out today. Are you ready to play a little tone-deaf karaoke? I hope so. Let the whole clip play before you take your guess. Here we go. I'm sorry, Eddie. I'm sorry, Eddie. Ashley, is that your tone or no? It is not my tone, Mike. It's not her tone. So she says, hey, she admits that that didn't sound that good because it's not really her register. I'm sorry, Eddie. That was boys to men. It's a Mikey show. It's 9.39. Naomi Campbell was arrested yesterday at Heathrow Airport after she spit on and tried to hit a cop. USD's head basketball coach Bill Greer says he's not going anywhere. It's going to be cool. And our text number here is 35253. Paris Hilton was on My Name is Earl last night. Skye, you like that show, right? Yeah, I actually, I really enjoy that show, but normally it's kind of lower on the priority list. I TiVo it and then, you know, get to it, you know, on the weekends or whatever, but I heard it was an hour-long episode. Paris Hilton was making a cameo. She was going to be playing herself, and I was like, I gotta watch this. Mm-hmm. So, here it is. Cut four. Bacon? It wouldn't be more than in the Hickey household without fresh-cooked bacon from Paris. Paris, France? Oh, silly. Paris Hilton. What? Randy, what are you doing? That's old Paris. I'm a cowboy. That's hot. Big meet with the boss today. Bye, sweetie. That's it? And then at the very end of the episode, she came in and said, that's hot. So she said that's hot like four times. Four times. And that's it? That was it. That's dumb. I was so angry. Yeah, you want something. That's it? That's it, Chad. It was so annoying. Chad Johnson. I don't know anything else you want to talk about. Well, that's all she had to say. That's it.
I don't know what else you could do. That's it? Yes. So sad. So angry. Mikey Show. Love the show, guys. Keep up the good work. So psyched for POD. Very nice. Give us a call. 570-1053 is our phone number. And that, what I just read you, was a text message. 35253. And you can text us whenever you'd like. We read them here on the air as long as you have something to say. So Hillary Clinton was on The Tonight Show. And remember how we were talking about how she said that she was pinned down by sniper fire when she was getting off an airplane? And then they actually found the footage of her getting off that airplane and she wasn't pinned down by sniper fire. And the pilot of that aircraft said, I was flying the plane. We weren't pinned down by sniper fire. And then they went to her and they said, if we... We're finding that you weren't pinned down by Sniper Fire. And what she said back to her is, you know, I've been to so many places that sometimes I forget where I was pinned down by Sniper Fire. So she was on the Tonight Show. And this is what happened. Cut 23. It is so great to be here. You know, I was worried I wasn't going to make it. Yeah, I was pinned down by Sniper Fire. Really? You know in LA?
That might be true, actually. Oh, I know. I mean, this has just been, you know, such a mismatch of words and actions. And I was thinking about it because, you know, obviously I've been so privileged to represent our country. Right, right. Gosh, more than 80 other countries, lots of war zones and all the rest of it. And, you know, I wrote about this in my book, and then I obviously just had a lapse. Okay, yeah. So here I am, safe and sound. It's fun. You lie and then you make a joke about it and it goes away. Yes, yes, yes. That is exactly what she means. Well, what's funny about it is that you could tell 99% of that studio audience had no idea what she was talking about. They didn't get that. Most people don't know that news story that I just told you. Most people don't know it. I didn't hear it until you told me. Yeah, so most people heard that in the audience. Did you hear it? It was kind of uncomfortable. They didn't know what that meant. I was pinned down by sniper fire. They're like, what? Is that like an L.A. joke? Was it the Bloods or the Crips? The Bloods or the Crips? Like, what are you talking about? Cut 24. Hey, I want to ask you about that, Chelsea. I know as a parent, she's out there. And how protective. I know when I first started in the business, my dad would come to the show. If somebody heckled me.
My dad would go over and threaten. I mean, as a parent, when you see her out there, you know, and people ask rude questions and things like, I mean, how do you... Well, my stomach is in knots. I mean, that's, you know, that's the way a parent feels. I mean, I really sympathize with your dad, but luckily I'm not there. So I'm not going to make a spectacle of myself like your father did and, you know, throttle somebody. But, you know, I am... Obviously, I'm very proud, and I'm also incredibly touched that she's doing this because it's her decision, and she's making a real difference for me. Well, she said she thought you would be a better president than her dad. Oh. You know, she's such a smart young woman. It looks like the Eddie line is ringing. Oh, well, look at the subject we're talking about. So, hello. Yes. Hi, Barbara. Hi, Barbara. I said good morning, Eddie. Good morning. Okay, you did say hello back. Well, that's wonderful. Well, I know it was you. Let's be honest. How'd you know it was me? Well, we were discussing your favorite subject. Oh, really? What were you guys talking about? Liars. Oh, so you're talking about Barack Obama. Is that it? No. We were talking about your girl, Hillary. Oh, Hillary Clinton? I didn't know you guys were talking about Hillary.
See, you're lying like she does. I didn't realize that you guys were talking about Hillary. Yeah, I was solving AIDS, and I just heard the phone ring. Solving AIDS? I was solving it, and I heard the phone ring, and I thought I would come and check in with you guys. You heard the phone ring? You dialed us. That's not true. My phone rang. It was Boston Rob, and he said, Hey, they're talking about Hillary Clinton. Would you like to come here? Rob, did you do that? I just figured, you know. Rob, be honest. Don't cover for her. Barbara gave Rob Xanax so that Rob will lie for her. That's not true. I gave him Percocet. Oh, wow. What do you want, Barbara? Well, I was calling because I know that right now this whole pinned down by sniper fire thing has been a big story. Yeah, we were just talking about that. And the truth is that she was pinned down by sniper fire. No, there's footage. No, that's... footage of her not being pinned down by a super fire, but it's not the actual story. Well, what is... Her life was made into a film, and the film was called Boys in the Hood. That's stupid. That's not true. It's about black kids in... It was... Well, she was actually... She was raised in South Central Los Angeles. No, she wasn't. No, she wasn't. She's the person that came up with the term blood in, blood out.
It was something that she came up with, and she was in a gang. And a lot of people don't know that, but it's one of the ways that she's able to sort of relate to those people. What do you mean those people? That sounds very racist. She also invented sniper fire. That's something that she did on her own. What? And the American government has used it to our damage many times. Barbara, do you ever get embarrassed of the things you say? No. She also invented rat traps. I'm just thinking of the things that she invented because she's been responsible for a lot of wonderful things. Rat traps, Cocoa Puffs, Blu-ray DVDs. She's come up with a lot of really wonderful things. She invented Matt Lauer. But he's person you don't invent uh she invented hemoglobins uh she invented the comb over she invented the comb over yes she did uh gel insoles um work with me here people well no you're doing you're not she also invented charcoal and your mama
That was your mama joke. I was just kidding around. That's just rude. I just wanted to throw into your mama joke. Okay. Well, anyway, guys, thanks for calling. It was a really good talk, and I'll talk to you guys later. I hope not. I can't stand that woman. So dumb. So strange, so dumb. He needs some professionals. Let's see. So, John Krasinski, everybody loves John Krasinski. He plays Jim on The Office. Especially Skye. Skye loves John Krasinski. Dreams about him a lot. She does. There are dreams that happen. And he was on Conan O'Brien. And he was talking about a creepy fan that he met. Cut 27. I walked into this bar thinking these kids are too cool for school. And certainly they were. And then this girl comes up and she goes, John Krasinski. And I was like, yeah. And she's like, John Krasinski. And I was like, yes, that is me. And she sits next to me and she just goes, John Krasinski. And I was like, oh, wow. And my friend starts dying laughing. He's like, this is fantastic. So I was like, no, it's not. And we got up and went to another side of the room and didn't see her for the rest of the night. Heard her a couple of times, muffled in the background. But then we got into a cab and sure enough, at the window, straight up horror film, we were like, all right, can we just go? And she goes, John Krasinski. And I was like, the hotel. And she's like,
Can I come with you? And I was like, nope, you can't. And we pulled away. We were like, go! And as we drove away, she was like, I think I know her. She bugs me whenever I'm in Seattle. No, no, no, no. She says, That's awesome. He sounds fun. Have you guys heard of this TV show, Rock the Cradle? Yep. Well, I think, and you guys tell me if this isn't right, but I think they take celebrity singers and they put their kids on. That is correct. Is that the deal? Yeah. Celebrity singers, they put their kids on and see if their kids can sing. Right. Like, here's Eddie Money's kid. Uh, Jesse Money. Aw. Here's Jesse Money, cut 37. Little girl out there, and I wanted to be a female me. Oh, man. No, Santa. You did it differently. You blew the bridge. What the f*** is this? This is MTV, guys. Come on. I don't think I did, honey. I'm Eddie Money. You're Jesse. You're the newcomer.
Whatever. Sometimes I pick on her a little too much. I want her to be the best that she can be. I love her. What network? MTV. Oh, it's MTV. You want to hear her sing? I don't know. Well, I'm reading... I would love to. Does anybody... Well, do you know the song, When I'm Gone? What is that? Avril Lavigne? I like that Take Me Home song. No, she's singing like... They're all singing new songs, I think. Avril Lavigne, When I'm Gone? When I'm Gone? Cut 38. Three doors downs when I'm gone. Oh, three doors downs. That's so good. If you're a girl, sing a girl song. If you're a guy, sing a guy song. It's going to sound weird. It's going to sound weird. You want to hear Bobby Brown's kid sing? Yeah. Which kid? Landon Brown. Oh. Here he is singing Crazy. Cut 40. To sing Seals Crazy, please welcome Landon Brown. Is Bobby Brown's, is that kid you think Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's kid?
I don't think so. Or it's his from another man. No, no, no. Because that wouldn't be possible for Bobby... That's Bobby Christina. Or whatever her name is. Because it wouldn't be possible for Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's kid to not be able to sing. No way. This is not possible. Okay, Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. Oh, no. Okay. That guy can't even sing. Thank you. That's true. His son, Jesse Blaze Snider. Oh, God. Yeah. Here he is, cut 46. The band sounds great. They're rocking, man. Man. Okay, I gotta hear this one last one. Kenny Loggins is great to me. His kid, Crosby Loggins. Oh, come on. Stop that. Sings.
I don't know this song. What's so funny about peace, love, and understanding? Yes, you do. Yes, you do. Who sings that? It's old school. It is? Cut 54. Singing Elvis Costello's What's So Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding, please welcome Crosby Loggins. I don't recognize this song. Look at Sean. He's really dancing. He's really in there. Sean's really dancing. All right, thank you. You didn't get to the hook. Oh, that's... Oh. Dude, he sounds just like Morris. What does the hook sound like? How does the song go? Who can sing it? What's so funny about peace, love, and understanding? I know this song. Who's singing this? I think it's Kenny Loggins' kid. I think it's Ashley. It's Ashley. It's Chloe Messina. I want to find out if there's any good movies coming out this weekend. Sky's Our Girl. Are you sure? Yeah, she's going to hook us up when we come back. Come on. She's going to tell us what's going on.

Well, first of all, the experience. The experience in the database. They hook up with all these other AMCOs with guys that know exactly what problems are going on. A bit much like the swimsuit edition or the twist-off beer cap? Or do you mean a bit much like a private jet? And when you say much, do you mean like it's a bit much when I can't decide between Maui and Jamaica for my vacation home? I'm just trying to figure this out. I think a bit much sounds pretty good. In fact, go ahead and add some nachos. Let's make it a lot much. All right. I was just asking. At a.m. p.m., you can never have too much good stuff. Start living large with a pepper jack cheese sausage dog for just $1.29. A.m. p.m., too much good stuff. At participating stores for a limited time, while supplies last, prices may vary. It's KIOZ San Diego. KIO! KIO!
What did I do? You gotta go hit it and then he hits it. But close enough, I'll take it. Hey Mikey, I love your Chad Johnson drops LOL. That's P1AO. Mikey, can you guys play Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace? No! Thank you. Eddie just threw a A wad of paper at Zeth for letting that text through. The pen. Mikey, I look forward to Fridays all week because I love your testimony so much and I hope other people out there hear you and find hope to get through the hard things. Thanks. Speaking of, we've got a new section on the website that will help you with all kinds of things from addiction to faith to everything. And all you got to do to find it is go to MikeyShow.com in the keyword section. Click in the word or type in the word help.
And hit enter and it'll take you there. Mikey, when will POD perform? Signed P1 Fallbrook. They'll perform on Wednesday morning in the 8 o'clock hour. Be real sweet. Skye has new movies coming out this weekend. Oh, I sure do, Mike. What do you got, Skye? Well, we have Leatherheads out today with George Clooney. Screwball comedy. I love that. Renee Zellweger, John Krasinski. Cut 60. Where were you two? Did you kiss her? Now, wait a minute. I want answers. Yeah, I kissed her on the mouth twice. And I liked it a lot. Oh, you did, did you? Yeah. Thanks. You're welcome. That was it? Come on. Awesome. I have to see that then. Wow. Yeah, seriously. John, tell us about working with Clooney as an actor and director at 59.
I think that as an actor, you know, the similarities are he's incredibly focused and he knows exactly what he wants. Not that you don't have fun and play with it, but there's definitely a place that you're going which really helps because you want to achieve something in the scene. You know, as a director, he's equally, if not more so, hard on himself than he is on any of us for a performance. I mean, you'd think that at this point in his career, he knows he's a good actor and, you know, just does two takes and gets out, but not the case at all. George Clooney, is it hard to make a football movie? Cut 58. Our big problem was that there's a lot of actors there, and I've got to use them for four months, so you can't really get them hurt along the way. So that was a trick, is trying to keep from getting anybody to get their ears boxed too bad. Thank you. That's George Clooney. Yes, that's it, Chad. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Not really. What else is coming out, Sky? Nims Island. What is that, Nims Island? It's Abigail Breslin and Jodie Foster. Oh, it's a little girl from Little Miss Sunshine. What does she play? Jodie Foster's kid or something? No, she's like on a deserted island with her. She's Nim. With her, yes she is. With her scientist father and he ends up getting lost at sea and so she writes this letter who goes to Jodie Foster who doesn't leave the house but goes to help Nim find her father. It's like a kid's movie, dude. Cut 64. What? Let's do it. 20 degrees south. 160 degrees west.
I can't even leave my apartment. I can't. I South Asiatic. It's just along the road. What don't you know? She's a little girl. Ireland. And she's asking for you. Don't throw that line at me. I wrote that. Okay, thank you. That sounds really moly. Oh, that was tough to listen to. You're first in line for that, huh? Yeah, I can't wait to not go to that. Also out today. Say it. The Ruins. Yeah, Shawnee. What's up? That is a movie that me and Sean would have gone to the premiere of. Why? Because it looks rad. Yeah, dude. That's 66. That's a good one. What is that? Is that a Will Ferrell movie? Dude. That sounds so good. What's the idea? Like, oh, go ahead, Scott.
Well, they say here it's a thriller that follows four American tourists. Four people. When they venture off the beaten path while in Cancun, they run into a German tourist who asks them to help search the jungle for his missing brother. And they go into ruins. That sounds zany. It is. And then just... Funny stuff happens from that point. And this big-breasted nurse shows up. Yes. A good comedy of the spring. Nice. And then finally today we have Shine a Light. Is that a documentary? Yes, on the Rolling Stones. Oh, I don't want to see it. Scorsese. Scorsese directed it? Scorsese made it. He loved documentaries. What is it? It's about the history of the Rolling Stones? No, it's a concert film. It's more like a concert film. Nope, won't see it. Why? Because that sounds so boring. You don't like Rolling Stones? No. Scorsese. Wow. Scorsese, bro. I know, but Scorsese, he's not going to do Scorsese type stuff. What do you do? Great. It's a concert. Here's a camera. Great. No, dude. It's a two-hour picture of it. Great. Where Mick Jagger asks, what's his face, Keith Richards, if he thinks he's funny. And what does Keith Richards say? He says, what do you mean? He takes offense to the question.
You know, guys, I think we're getting to the end of all our stuff. I think we have exhausted everything on our list today. Is that it, Sky? That's all the movies coming out, right? Yes, those are all the movies out today. Let's see. Let's save this. Zethi and Elts, will you save that? That would be fun for us to do next week with some percentage stuff. And, guys, that's it. I think we can call it a day. 5701053. Well, we've done everything. Yeah, we got some announcements. Go ahead. Ashley. Well, if you want to come hang out with me this Sunday, I'd love to see you P1s. I'm going to be at the Good Guys Car Show, the Del Mar Fairgrounds, from noon until 145 this Sunday. I'd love to see you come kick it. You going to make some cookies? Say what? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I did make cookies today. I don't know about Monday. They're still here, which is crazy. That's, well...
Well, you know, people didn't want to be rude and just start taking people's cooking. They didn't know who they belonged to. Oh, is that why? I saw plenty of people eating them and enjoying them a lot. I think people really love the match. Boston Rob, do you have something going on? Oh, yeah. Tonight, it's a voli bar on 6th and Island. A little voli bar. Padres pre-party. I'm going to be in the way. Padres tickets, autographed baseballs, autographed merch. So tonight... Merch, by the way, everyone. You know what I'm saying, huh, Ski? I gotcha. It costs a lot of Skrull to get that kind of merch. That's true. So 5 to 6.45. What did she say? Well, she said no offense. She said no offense. She called him an idiot. None of them. But you're an idiot. Oh, she called him an idiot? Yeah. Well, that's really sweet. Five o'clock. Free patty. Really sweet. Free patty. Is that it? Let's take some phone calls then. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, man, I got some advice from Mikey. Go ahead, dude. You're on the air. Hey, don't do it. What your mom told you to do this morning with that little teapot thing, dog, you put that in your nose, I guarantee you better be in the bathroom above the toilet. Yeah, what did she call it? What did my mom call it? A nanopod. A nanopod? Yeah, don't do it, dog. Have you heard of it? You've actually heard of the nanopod. Yeah, dog, I've done it.
No, it's no bueno. Why is it no bueno, bro? Why? I'm telling you, it goes in your nose, man, and then it goes down your throat, and it's going to gag you, dog. Oh, so you're saying it'll make me throw up? Oh, it's going to make you puke. Yeah, dog. Oh. We got some emails after your mom talked about it saying that that stuff's really great. I still don't understand what it is. It looks like a little teapot. It's blue. It looks like a little teapot. You fill it up with warm water. You put the little packet in it. And then you tilt your head back and you snort this stuff through your nostrils. Oh, I'm not doing that. supposed to snort it or is it just supposed to be like the vapors from it? No, it's not like you're just pouring it in there and then you're going to hold your nose and it just kind of... You pour boiling hot water from a teapot on a stove? Yeah, but it gets rid of your sinus. Yeah, it's like boiling lava going down your throat. With the membranes in your nose. No, no, no. It's warm water. Just warm water. But trust me, Mikey, you don't want to do it, bro. It's going to make you hurl something fierce. Well, I don't have a very... I don't...
throw up like that, you know? Like, maybe we'll have a different reaction to it. Well, how does it sound when you throw up? Play the little clip. Play the little throw up clip. No, no. Oh! Mike! Teapot. I thought Sean was told not to play that. Oh, yeah. Mikey Show, hello. Sorry, dog. Hey, this is P1 Matt. Me, Matt! I just want every, if you want to know out there that Mikey will probably be making an appearance on his couch watching some movie. Why don't you let everybody know what you're watching this weekend, Mikey? I'll be watching The Lion King. The Lion King? What? I don't know. What will I be watching? I don't know, but I just got to say War Bay Area Sports making a comeback, baby. Huge. Rack him. Nice. That's what I say. War me watching a movie. What is he talking about?
I don't care. He's making a joke that these two are doing appearances. Mikey's appearance is on his couch. Oh, I got it. Oh, that was a joke? Come on, guys. Not everybody can be as funny as you. Why don't you give the guy a break? Come on. Come on, dog. It's funny when you have to explain it. It's as good as Pauly Shore's machine. Mikey's show. Hello. Hey, it's Ian and Adam. Hi, Adam. Hey, two things. One, Sky, are you going to the Home and Garden show? Stop it. No. As soon as I got home yesterday, my husband's like, so the station got any tickets to that? I love it. Are you going, Skye? Why are you just looking at me blankly, Skye? No, I don't. That's a yes. She's going. It's going to be forced to. And secondly, how come we have no photographic evidence of what Eddie wore to pay off his bet from B-Rob? We do. It's on the website. Oh, I looked. What did he wear? From the P1 party? Yeah, the P1 party, dude. It's on the website. Yeah, it's up there. What do you have to wear, man? Really sexy outfit. Very sexy. Check it out. It's under photos. Photos. Mikeyshow.com. The end of the show on Friday, I do something called my testimony where I tell you about... Talk about it. What life used to be like and what it's like now for me. And things were a lot different. I was talking about this the other day to...
actually to my mom, because a lot of the things that I've told you happened when I was a kid, I held a lot of resentment onto it for a long time. And this topic came up over the last couple of weeks of forgiveness. And I was really, really, really putting some thought into it because all my friends know that one thing I'm really big on is words. Words mean a lot to me. I don't like to just throw words around. I don't like cliches. I like when people say stuff that it really has some weight to it and it means something. And so whenever I heard the term, let it go, it always bothered me. Because I always thought to myself, let it go? Well, then the next time somebody hits their hand with a hammer, a mistake, just say, oh, let it go. And you won't be upset. But that's not the way that it works. And so certain experiences as I was growing up, gave me a lot of resentment, things that I couldn't let go. And so I was thinking of this topic, forgiveness. And if you will, try to think of forgiveness as an analogy, okay? Let's say you take a napkin, you ball the napkin up, and you're holding it in your hand, and that's whatever the thing is that was done to you that you feel wronged about. And you got the napkin in both hands, and you're holding it in front of you, and you're squeezing it, and you refuse to let it go.
Even though if you actually did put your hands out in front of you and just open your hands and it fell out, you would be free of it. You'd be able to put like a sword through it, put it to death, and then you don't feel it anymore. Except that it's usually not that easy. And the reason that it isn't is because what we think about, think about right now somebody that has wronged you. And what happens is that you think to yourself, if I let that thing go and it falls out of my hands, I'm somehow letting them off the hook. And I can't do that. I can't let them off the hook. It's not what it is. You're not letting them off the hook. They still have a price to pay. But what you are doing is you are letting yourself off the hook. I'm going to give you another analogy. Think about somebody whom you have a problem with, whom you have a resentment for. And I want you to think back before you had the resentment and everything was good.
Could be a boyfriend or a girlfriend or a husband or a wife or whatever. And I want you to picture yourself driving a car and they're sitting next to you, okay? You're driving down the street and all of a sudden they say to you, hey, can you pull over for a second? You go, yeah, sure, what's going on? They go, just pull over for a second. So you pull over. And you pulled over right in front of the U National Bank. And they go into the U National Bank. And when I say U, I mean you as a person. Let's say that your name is John. They go into the John National Bank. And about two minutes later, they come running out of the John National Bank with a mask on and a big duffel bag full of your money. They get into the car, they throw it in the backseat, and they go, drive, idiot, come on, drive. And you're looking at them, you're like, okay, you start driving away. And you realize they just robbed your bank. This is somebody that you trust, love, appreciate. You're supposed to have a thing with them. They just robbed your bank. You have a choice to make.
You can continue to drive around with them and drive that stuff around. But if you do, you've basically become an accomplice in the robbery of your bank. So if you throw the e-brake on, you can get out of the car and go, hey, man, that's on you. You did that and it's not right and it's against the law and you're eventually going to have to, like, come to justice for it. But I just got to tell you. I can't continue to drive around my stolen money. I can't do that. Now, I'm 37 years old. I'm figuring this stuff out now, but I didn't always have this stuff figured out, trust me. And so as a result of it, I carried around a ton of people that robbed the bank with a ton of duffel bags. And it got really, really heavy. And it eventually got to the point where I didn't want to feel it anymore.
And so I drank and I drank and I drank. And I drank to the point where I was eventually addicted to alcohol. There's a lot of people that are listening right now that are going through any number of things. You're addicted to alcohol. You're addicted to crystal methamphetamine. When I said that, you may have just got chills because you know that later on today you're going to buy some. You don't want to. People probably don't know about it or maybe they do and they've been asking you to try to stop it. You can't. Or maybe it's cocaine. Or maybe it's any number of things that you're addicted to. It could be prescription pills. And maybe it isn't that at all. Maybe you're just miserable because you're getting out of a relationship or somebody's broken up with you. So you've lost a husband or a wife or a boyfriend or girlfriend or you've lost somebody through death. And you just feel like, what's the point?
Even if I listen to what you said, Mikey, what's the point? Because I don't feel like I have that one word that you talk about all the time, which is hope. I don't feel like I have any of that. That's why on Fridays at the end of the show, I tell you about my experience. I was just like you. I was broken in every single way you could possibly think of. Every single way. Morally bankrupt. I just felt awful, man. I felt like I didn't have any friends, and I felt like... And it was me that had put myself there. I felt like I didn't have any hope. And I felt like every day was worse than the day before. And then one night when I was laying in bed, I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life. And I asked him to please change me as a person. Every one of my friends and my family members can tell you that they've seen a change in me. And it's been as a result of that relationship. The reason that I tell you this at the end of the show on Fridays is because that relationship is open to every single person.
woman and child. And it's about hope. It's a message of hope. That's what I did, and that's what happened for me. And we play a song that's all about hope. It's called Tunnel, and it's by a band called Third Day. The words to the song are amazing, really inspirational, and I ask you to really listen to the words to the song, because it's very, very inspirational. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next, and it is a free-form Friday with Missy today. Woo! See you on Monday morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show's out late. I won't pretend to know what you're thinking And I can't begin to know what you're doing
