Mikey opened the show celebrating Eddie's 35th birthday and discussed his recent neti pot experiment, describing the humiliating yet relieving ritual. The crew then recapped Eddie's Hard Rock birthday party, Zeth's car‑accident story, and gave away tickets for an upcoming P.O.D. studio performance. Later they shared listener toothbrush horror stories, debated alligator versus shark dangers, ran a P1 trivia contest, and featured a visit from Lou Bush who served sweet potato fries, while also revisiting the Nubs war‑dog tale.

Very special day. Welcome to the show. It is 6-04. After worldwide protests, security is high with the Olympic torch arriving in San Francisco for its only North American stop. Well, I guess Memphis really needs to practice their free throws, blowing a big lead, losing to Kansas in the NCAA championship 75-68 in overtime. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to be the first to say to my friend Eddie... Eddie! Today is Eddie's birthday, and he turns 22 years old this day. That's right. He's only been able to drink for a year, and it's really fantastic. One of my crazy years. That's right. Let's see. Eddie is 35 years old today. My goodness. I can't even believe it. Listen, Friday night,
was Eddie's birthday party, which I was unable to attend because I had a speaking engagement. But it was at the Hard Rock here in San Diego, and I know nothing. I will be finding out with all of you how that went. Yeah. So we will be doing that in just a little bit. It's a big day around here. Birthdays are a big deal, especially when it's our boy. And so well wishes and the happy birthdays may now commence. 570-1053 is a phone number. Our text is 35253. And so you can text us, you can email us, or you can call us. My name is Mikey, and I'm the host of the show. We were out yesterday. Sean was sick with the flu. I was sick. And I'm feeling so much better today. I'll tell you, Sunday night was the worst of it. Really? Yeah, you know, I was sick last week, and my boy's been sick. My son Jake had the flu, and he's 100% back. That kid's happy. And so I had it, but I also had this sinus infection, and then it traveled into my chest, and I was coughing up the stuff. And so I was dealing with the both of them. Saturday morning, I got the neti pot.
No, you did? Yes, I did. No way. I did. I got the neti pot. And let me tell you guys, I've got to videotape it. That's crazy. It's the most humiliating thing you'll ever see, ever. Awesome. It's so humiliating to see me do it. What is it? Videotape it. I'm going to. Yes. You'll do it again? Oh, I do it like that. You do it regularly, you'll stay good. Oh, really? Yeah, you do it on my, like my mom, she says that she does it like two times a week. I said, how do you know when to do it? She goes, your sinuses will tell you. And I know what that means. I know what that means. Wow. Because my sinuses start speaking to me. They start screaming to me. So it looks like a little tea kettle. Okay? Looks like a little miniature tea kettle. It says on the box that it was a ear, nose, and throat doctor. in 1996 that developed this because he was seeing these patients come in and he thought to himself, if I could just do this, it would fix everything. And so he did this. So basically, the neti pot is this little, what looks like a tea kettle. And mine's ghetto. I didn't even get one of the good ones. The good ones are made of ceramic and they sell them behind the pharmacy desk.
The one that I got, they sell out in the aisle and it's plastic. But it does the same thing. Now, imagine the... Instead of saying a little tea kettle, imagine more of like the little things that you water plants with that have the handle. It's more like that. It's a little bit more like that, more stout. And where the spout is, imagine that being... a rather large opening, about an inch opening, so that it fits widely in your nostril. Makes a snug fit in your nostril. Well, that's what you always want. Of course. A snug fit up there. Now, remember that Dodo that called in at the end of the show and said, Dude, I tried that thing, man. It made me barf. Remember that guy? Yeah. Well, I can't imagine what he must have done. I think what he must have done is, he must have... Put his head back. That's what he said. That's so stupid. And I was telling him, I don't think that's how you do it, sir. Of course not. And he's like, no, you pour it in there. No, you don't, dumb dumb. It'll go right down your throat. That's why he threw up. Oh, no wonder. So what you do is, you turn your sink on, your bathroom sink on, and you get the water warm. They say body temperature. And how do you know body temperature? You put your finger under there and you go, that feels warm and not too hot, not too cold. So you fill it up.
to the line where it says neti pot on the outside. You can see that. Then you take these little packets that they give you, and the packets have got this very fine salt. You pour that into the neti pot, and you stir it up. Then you're standing, you're looking straight at the mirror, and you turn your head so that your ear touches your shoulder. It doesn't actually touch, but you would get what I'm saying. You move your head to the side, okay? You jam that sucker into your nostril. No. Open your mouth and gently tilt the neti pot up so that gravity pours that water into your nose. And what happens is it goes into your sinuses and it drains just like a faucet out of your other nostril. Get out of here. And when you're about halfway through the neti pot, you go straight up, take the neti pot out and go...
And you blow all this stuff out. Then you turn your head the other way. You stick the thing in the other nostril. And you do it that way. Now, let me tell you, I got this email. I got this email from this girl. And she didn't know. You know, she wrote me over the weekend. She said, I got to suggest the neti pot to you. She said, I have a love-hate relationship with my neti pot. She said, sometimes I curse when I do it. It doesn't hurt, but it's unusual. And you feel so stupid. You feel so silly. You feel so silly when you do it. It works. Wow. You know what it feels like, you guys? When you're done. When you're done. For those of you that don't have sinus problems, you won't understand this, so I'll try to explain what sinus problems feel like. Sinus problems feel like, somehow,
A little desert man walked inside of your face and planted cactus. And they really grew. I mean, they took off. But not only that, after the cactus started to grow, someone stuck a straw in those cactus and went and blew them up inside your sinuses. So they're expanding. And as they're expanding, their little needles are getting into your face. That's what it feels like. Now, what it actually is, is gunk. OK, it's gunk that can't drain correctly. It becomes infected and it hurts. The neti pot is like going to one of those ghetto car washes where you put 50 cents into the thing and a high speed blaster comes on and you go inside your face. And you go. And so when it's all done and then you have to do something even dumber after you drain it. Right. After you're done draining and you stand up and you go.
and all this stuff comes blowing out your nose, then you have to put your arms behind your back, and you have to bend over. What the hell? And you've got to turn your head to the side, blow. Turn your head to the side, blow. But when you're done, it is squeaky clean. You can breathe. You can get relief. Dude, instant relief. But the kitchen's a mess. But the kitchen's a mess. And it lasts for a couple days, this relief. My mom said to me, and everything my mom says to me, I take with a grain of salt, literally. And so she said to me, it took me about a week using the neti pot to get it like 100%. What I'm about to tell you is a bit on the graphic side. But it's already been so... So good morning, everybody. It's 6.13. Enjoy your oatmeal. No oatmeal. I'll try to do this as delicately as I can. Bye. Bye. The first time you use the neti pot, you will notice that the stream will not be as diligent. In fact, the stream will be a bit slow. It's got a lot of stuff to work through. But once you've used the neti pot a few times and you've cleansed your sinuses, the stream is perfect. It's like turning on a water faucet. And that's when you know that the neti pot is working. There you go.
So, yeah, I feel really good. It sounds real cool. I like it. I don't. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He's got his big birthday today. I used the Eddie pot. The Eddie pot. I love it. If you want a rude dog. Hey, what's up, Mikey Show? What's up, dude? Hey, I just wanted to say happy birthday to Eddie. That's right. We got to get to it. I'm going to rush through introductions because I want to hear about what happened Friday night. But if you want to wish Eddie a happy birthday, give us a call. P1 Andre. Hey, happy birthday, Eddie. I just wanted to comment on that neti pot thing, too. That thing works, but you look like a complete buffoon. Oh, yeah. Wow. Listen, it's going to be humiliating for me, but I'm going to videotape it, and I'll put it on the website. It's so humiliating. It's so humiliating. But it's too funny to not do it. So, okay, so...
Sky is our news girl. She's 30 years of age. Hi. She looks great. She feels great. Hi. We're going to hear about how great she felt Friday and Saturday. Sean is our sound effects guy. He had the flu. How are you feeling, Sean? I'm okay. About 75%. There you go. Ashley's looking great. She's got the curly hair going on today. How do you achieve the curly hair as opposed to the straight? Do you have to do anything different? Yeah, totally. What did you do to get this look? Well, this look is real easy, Mike. All I have to do is just jump out of the shower, comb my hair through, and I'm a humongous fan of the Aussie Sprunch Spray. Put a little in, do a little scrunchage with my hand, and by the time I get to work, it's dry and it's wavy. That's right. And she's got two silver cougarands hanging from her ears. They're beautiful. And, yes, they're gorgeous. Well, the thing, for some reason, with curly hair, I'm a fan of, like, big earrings. I think it looks cute. It does. Very well done. I don't know what that's about. Boston Rob is our phone screener. He is also a singer-songwriter. He submitted a song to me yesterday, which Mikey Records had to reject. Aww.
It happens every once in a while. Wait, it got rejected? Well, it got rejected. Well, you know, it was a lyrical thing towards the end. You know, where I thought, well, you know, okay, I'll let that one go. And then it was followed by another one that I said, well, that one's, I don't know about that one. Wait a minute, we can do some editing this morning. Maybe, perhaps we could. Perhaps we could. You and me will talk. Yeah, we better talk. I didn't know it got rejected. Well, listen, it's ridiculous. It's a talk. It's a tough business. Yes, it is. It's a tough business. It is. It is. It's not easy. It's not easy. That's right. And then, finally, Roosevelt, Zethian Oates, Jr., Esquire III. Zed. Hello. That's right. Zed. That's right. And Zeth was hit by a car over the weekend. We'll get to that just a little bit later on. Are you talking? What? What do you mean, what do I mean? What do you mean? I think it's pretty self-explanatory. I see him right there. He's fine. I know, but listen. A guy got hit by a car. No, what are you going to do? It happens, right? What do I mean? If we were to have to guess, which of the seven of us would get hit by a car? Yeah, good point. Why do we just know that it would be Roosevelt, Zethi, and Oates? What happened, Rosie? Well, I have to walk up this kind of weird alley to get to my house. And there's a lot of cars coming back and forth, in and out. And I'm just walking, and I see this car kind of start to back out.
Far away, I'm, like, kind of up against a fence that's probably, I don't know, seven feet away from where they're backing out. So I just keep walking. And they walk, and they accelerate faster all of a sudden. And the back of the trunk kind of hit me in the hip and threw me into a fence. Oh, my God. Can you believe this guy? Yeah. And, like, I kind of, you know, I hit the fence. I take assessment of myself. And I'm like, you know what? Like, I'm okay. Nothing hurts. Like, I'm fine. And this lady gets out of her car. She's... freaking out like i'm so sorry kind of an older woman like maybe 50 60 and i'm just laughing like i felt bad because she was like freaking out about i was like no really i'm fine don't worry about it like i'll just rub some dirt on it walk it off i'm cool and she's like still freaking out on the verge of tears and i felt so bad for the woman but i was okay and i tried to be like you know You know, go along your way. I'm fine. I'm just going to go upstairs. No way. Can you imagine getting hit by a car? How rich are you right now? I know. That's what I'm talking about. I'm surprised you didn't go that route. It was like an 87 Nissan Sentra. Yeah. Well, it's the insurance company. You got an 87 Nissan Sentra? No. 40 bucks make this whole thing go away. I should have. I should have. Zeth, I'm very proud of you, man. You didn't take advantage of the situation. Well, that's what we all meant. That's what we were saying.
That's right. Thanks, Mikey. Good job. Good job. My neck's kind of hurting from that accident. I know. Eddie, there are some other birthdays on the line. P1 Cat's got a birthday today as well. Right, Cat? Good morning. Good morning. I wanted to wish Eddie a happy birthday as well as myself. Good birthday. How old are you turning? I'm turning 21 today. Me too. Yeah. That's right. Well, happy birthday. Thank you very much. You're very welcome. Have fun tonight. Eddie, would you say you are Pisces? No. Of course, you're a Libra. No. Okay, happy Sagittarius Day, Eddie. Keep going. Eddie's one of the finest Geminis I've ever met in my life. Libra. No. He is the funniest Cancer I've ever met. That's probably true, but no. Aries. Aries. The Ram. Well, what they decided to do for Eddie's birthday is they decided that they were going to celebrate a little early. His birthday is today, but they celebrated Friday night. And by they, I mean Eddie, Sky, Zeth, Ashley, were you there? Yep. And Boston Rob, were you there? So everybody was there except for me and Sean. Sean lives in the Bay Area. I had a speaking engagement at the exact time. And Eddie...
Well, first of all, let's talk expectations. You know, what did you expect and what did you get? Was it exceeding expectations? Beyond my expectations. Like, yeah, I had no idea that we have such a jewel in San Diego like the Hard Rock. I've stayed, you know, Rob and Ashley and Sky and I stayed at the Hard Rock in Chicago when we were there for our morning show boot camp thing. And Hard Rock Chicago was okay. I mean, it was nothing special. Not even cool. I thought it was just, you know, like, oh, it was a nice hotel. There was no roof. Yeah. So we roll into Hard Rock San Diego, and this is the first time I've been there. And I walk in, and I'm like, holy cow. Wow. This place is crazy. Real dazzling when you walk in. Beyond. Yeah. And, you know, so I'm doing these commercials for the Hard Rock, and they tell me, you know, we want to treat you like an owner, so you get kind of the owner experience. Yeah. I walk in and I check in in what they call the green room. Basically, it's like a VIP check-in. There's a comp bar in there. So I walk in and they immediately go, what do you want to drink? I'm like, whoa. So I had a drink within the first two seconds I was in there. And they're like, yeah, bring anybody back here. Have fun. You know, we're going to have a great time tonight. We ate dinner at Nobu. Delicious. This was beyond good and crazy. Now, if you don't know Nobu, man, that started in New York. And it is.
Crazy good. Yeah, really good. A little bit of drama involved because it was an expensive night, and we have some people that were joining us that don't have a lot of money. And so there was, you know, some arrangements made and some, you know, things that had to be done to, you know, make sure. Accommodate. Yeah, to accommodate. Thanks, Eddie. So that's fine. But what is the drama? What was the controversy part? It was probably a lot more expensive than they expected. And the Hard Rock treating Eddie nice as his B-Day and everything like that gave us a credit. So I think, this is my interpretation, that the kids thought that the credit was going to cover the bill. The credit was like a fourth of the bill. It was an expensive night. It was a pricey. So when we took the remainder and split it down the middle, not so good for the kids. Now listen, I know what the amount is because I heard Eddie mention it. We're not going to say. It was a lot. The credit that they gave him was a
What? And I knew we had 14 people there. 16 people. Oh, that's right. Two more people showed up. Two extra people showed up. So we had 16 people. Zeth's other personalities came along. That was another. Zeth showed up an hour late. Why? Because he couldn't find parking. The Padre game killed it. It was kind of a mess out there. It was pretty crazy. A lot of the streets were closed in certain directions. So that was the first part of the big drama. And then we had a table upstairs in one of the bars called Moonstone. So cool. It was a cool bar. You know, it's like this rooftop bar and you overlook all the gas lamp. Right. It's rad. And so we went up there and just chilled and, you know, had some bottle service, Mike. It was real good. What is that bottle service? What is that? Will you buy a bottle for your group? Okay. And you get treated real nice. A bottle of Evian or what is it? A bottle of alcohol. A bottle of Orange Crush. Yeah, not so much. We had three bottles that evening. Wow. And everybody, and I do mean everybody, got pretty toasty. It was outrageous. And by everybody, is Skye included in that, Eddie? From what I can recall, I believe so, that she was involved in the debauchery.
What about dancing? Did you guys do any of that? Not really, because we had this fire pit in this whole area that we were just chilling. On the roof, Mike. We were having a great time. Nice and warm? Was it warm? Yeah. I was getting toasty. I mean, it could have been snowing, and I would have been great. There was one dramatic event that did occur. Oh, no. What happened, Danny? Don't. There was these three guys that kept trying to invade our space. Yes, they did. apparently kind of hitting on our women. Really? And at one point, I asked them to leave. I said, look, guys, I don't know who you are. This is our area. I paid for this. I don't want you sneaking drinks. Can you please? I was cool about it. I was like, you guys got to go. And they were kind of cool about it. They were like, okay, I'm sorry. But they were kind of jackasses, so I knew something was weird about it. One of them made a comment to my boyfriend, too. I didn't tell you, Eddie. What? Like, one of them, just to give you an idea of kind of how they were being punked, one of them said to my boyfriend, and I was like a couple feet away, so I didn't hear this, but he was like, hey, dude, I don't know why you're with that chick pointing to me. That's like a B minus. You got to go over to the bachelor party to the left right here. That's where all the real hot chicks are. Oh, my. And, you know, my boyfriend was like, are you even a part of this party? Like, bro, you can step back. So.
Anyway, these three guys proceed to get really drunk. Yes. And one of them was, like, obliterated, I guess, and came up and grabbed my wife's drink and threw it into the fire. Oh, my. And so, not a smart idea to do with Rob and Zeph and my buddy Tim. Tim. Who are all drinking. No. And these guys are all. The last one gave me chills, by the way. Thank you. Thank you. So that guy got grabbed real quick. By Rob. By Rob. He was trying to walk away. Someone told him to leave, and I wanted to talk to him. Well, the bouncers were there, and the bouncers took care of it. Luckily. And somebody told me that that happened, and I got a little hot about it, too. It was just drunken drama, but it went over real quick, and the guy got kicked out, so no big deal. Everybody had a crazy time, and it was nuts. I stayed in the Black Eyed Peas suite. Oh, my. It was nuts. Really? It was a killer, killer time. So, Skye, what did you end up doing? Did your husband become DD, or did you stay, or what? Yes, he was the DD for the evening. Yeah, which means that you got to enjoy yourself. Thank you so much. Yeah, that, you know, I'm 30 years old.
You are? Yes, I am. For the record, 30 years old. I have had quite a few adult evenings out. I've had quite a few adult evenings at home with beverages. This, and I'm not proud to admit this, this is the first time I've ever blacked out. Really? Yeah. And it really freaked me out because I basically don't remember probably the last, pretty much from the last hour at the club that we were at. And I got home and I was sicker than a dog. My husband said I walked in the house. He said the whole time on the drive home, all I kept talking about is how I have to get home to use the restroom. And I have to urinate and I drink too much. And so as he said, and you know, I'm like very anal. So I'm the kind of chick who comes home. I fold my clothes. I put it away. I put my shoe on the shoe stacker. He said I walked in the door. I'm ripping my clothes off. I'm throwing my purse. The shoes are flying.
crawling up the stairs. I am crawling up the stairs in my underwear to the bathroom. Now that was something we wish we could have taken on the website. And she walks in and I'm doing the nutty one. And then so I proceed to get sick for probably a good like hour and a half, two hours straight. I then finally crawl into bed and I don't remember any of this and my husband said I'm laying in bed. hiccuping for like another hour like passed out hiccuping and i still full makeup full hair the whole thing the next morning wake up like so hung over have a couple sips of water start getting sick all over i was getting sick all i was literally in bed like all saturday i probably must have said on saturday over a dozen times i'm never drinking again i'm never drinking again what were you drinking Vodka. Vodka. Lots of vodka. That'll do it. Yeah, but it was a blast. Oh, my. I'm just saying. Oh, my. I've had some pretty funny stories of Skye, like, talking crap. Like, it's hilarious. She said that, or Zeth was saying that her and Shauna Moran Brown, our program director, were taints, right? And they were, like, and they were getting hit on by these guys. And they, like, straight told him off, like, get out of here. What's up, wedding rings? Yeah. Whoa. And then, like,
they were like high-fiving or whatever like yeah we still got it oh my god what in the world which is so like not sky at all it's ridiculous yeah i apologize to anyone i came in contact with that evening we don't do that very often i'm too old for that did any of you guys take pictures of the event No, I don't think so. Well, somebody was taking pictures at dinner. Paparazzi? Was Paparazzi there taking pictures? I don't remember. 570-1053 is our phone number. We would love to hear from you. We are in studio. And I got to say that as the guys were discussing it, we were all going, yeah, probably gross us out too. We probably wouldn't go there ever again either. For sure.
So we will discuss that. The dude that we had on the show from Iraq that sent the dog back to California. Nubs. Nubs. He was on Ellen yesterday. And we will play that for you. Or three big rolls pack of brawny paper towels. Only $3.50. Save money. Live better. Walmart. Luck 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Turning into a tough ride in the 15 South this morning. You've got the usual commute traffic backing up on you out of Escondido right now. Coming off the 78th down the Villa Rancho Parkway. Some reduced speeds again through that construction zone at Rancho Bernardo. But once you head on down towards around the Miramacia area, then it starts backing up on you big time, man. In single digits, it becomes closer to this bad overturn crash in the middle lanes at Miramar Road. And that's the reason for that. Might want to hop over to the west here, get on Black Mountain. That runs parallel to the 15 to get around this a little bit faster for you this morning. The south runs out of the 5 this morning out of the north county. Not too bad. Got the usual stuff developing out of the Cania, up to the Solana Beach.
Westbound 52 seeing some breaklights up the hill here to the top of the summit. The West 8 is good to go. 94 also looking clear into downtown. A little bit rougher, though, out of the South Bay and northbound 805, especially here up to National City, backing up again from the 15 into North Park. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. I just heard us talking about it. Hard Rock, downtown San Diego. Holy cow. Who knew? If you haven't been there yet, what are you waiting for? And the crazy part about it, and this is what I was thinking about the whole time, I could be part owner of this. Dude. And all this stuff that we got, which was crazy, VIP treatment, top notch. I mean, that wasn't anything special for me. No. That's what owners get. That's what they called the rock royalty treatment. Yeah. I mean, it was so cool, man. I can't even describe to you how awesome it is. So, not only are you making money with a great investment by owning one of the suites downtown, and they do all the work for you. You don't have to rent it out yourself. Right. They rent it for you. Again, I was blown away with how many people stayed there. There was a Padre game going on, so I'm sure there were some people there. But I think tourism, we forget how crazy it is in San Diego and how much money you can make by this. So anyway, that's kind of besides the point to me now at this point because now that I've actually stayed there and stayed in the Black Eyed Peas suite and I'm like rolled VIP style and actually for the first time in my life really did feel like a rock star.
It was all because of Hard Rock downtown San Diego. I'm telling you, they have a website. Go to their website. Check it out. Look into it. It is the way to go in San Diego. Now back to Mikey. My wife's name is Rebecca. I'm married up. Thank you very much. Eddie. I know I'm particular. Sky. I'd be injected with herpes. Sean. I once kicked a doctor in the face. Boston Rob. I'll support him for my whole life. I'll believe for him. I don't care. I love my team. And Ashley. Not many things annoy me at all. The Mikey Show's on. Rock, rock, rock. 105.3. Up, what up? It is the Mikey Show at 640. Brad Pitt got a huge welcome last night when he arrived to tape his Idol Gives Back segment for Wednesday. Greg Maddux throws seven strong innings and Adrian Gonzalez goes four for five. And the Padres 8-4 win over the Giants. Starting the show off today with a couple of Eddie's favorite bands. Awesome. A little Pearl Jam, a little Sublime. It's Eddie's birthday today. He's turned 35 years of age. 570-1053 is our phone number. And we will allow a little open phonage. And, of course, your text messages. 35253.
Now, if you're not a member of the Mikey Show P1 Text Army, all you have to do is send my name to that number. Just write the word Mikey and send it to 35253. And it'll get you in, go through a little process where they'll say, you sure you want to do this? I mean, are you really sure? And we don't send texts that often. We don't send text blasts that often. We usually only send you a text blast when something huge is going on. For instance, a little later this morning, we're going to send a blast saying, we're giving away. All 10 of the POD deals for tomorrow, we're going to give them away on the show today. POD is going to be performing in our performance studio tomorrow. And we're going to have 10 pair of tickets for people to come in and watch. We're going to have breakfast for you and see POD perform live in the studio. It's a pretty big deal. Oh, yeah. So if you want to get in on it, we're going to be doing it a little bit later. All you have to do is make sure that you're available tomorrow morning. So you're going to have to take a day off work or whatever. P1 matches. Hey, I just want to be the first to say happy birthday, Oracle. And my question was, is George Takai still on the show? I haven't heard from him in a while. Yes, I'm still on the show, but you're not the first to wish Eddie a happy birthday. I did that this morning. I rolled over and said good morning, chickens. No, that is not true. I don't want you to start rumors. Welcome to my dojo, and good morning. Well, the reason why you don't hear George as much as he's...
preparing for his big television return on the, what's that show called? The Secret of Asian Stars. No, that's not it. You're going to be a country singer. It's called North Korea or no North Korea. That's not what it's called. Well, you're not North Korean. And then the people talk to the banker, and then they say, no North Korea. Are you talking? Then they slam the oyster shut, and you do not get to see what's inside. I'm trying to promote a show for him. Oyster number nine. What's the point? Okay. So thank you very much, P1 Matches. Thank you. What is a P1? P1's a Mikey Show listener. That's somebody that listens exclusively to the Mikey show. When they call in, they do what that guy did. Turn your radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. And you are out there spreading the word for the army. You're getting more people in the P1 army. Here's some text messages. We're getting happy birthday to the legend, the myth, the oracle. And yes, the funniest man in the Dagobah system. Mr. Eddie Papani. That's from
P1 Leonidas. Hey, happy birthday, Eddie. Best wishes to you, man. That's P1 Zeke. And Eddie, any blondes at your party? That's from P1 OJ Simpson. I don't know why he wanted to know if there was any blondes at the party, but he's asking. So I don't understand the question. Happy birthday, Eddie. The Oracle is loved in San Diego. That's from P1 Omni. Happy birthday, Eddie. May the force be with you. I hope you got everything you wanted. Happy 22nd birthday, Eddie. Thank you. Aw, what a good year. So, the big 22. Have a great day. God bless you all. P1 Gimp. There you go. Eddie's a big boy now. He's 22 years old. What are you going to do? Awesome! Michael Vick is playing football in prison. What are you... Well, wait. I mean, that's got to be a joke. Adam Sandler did the whole movie. You mean The Longest Yard? Well, yeah. Well... Originally done by Burt Reynolds. Apparently... I guess that movie with Burt Reynolds and Chris Rock. Well, yeah, he was in the remake as well. I guess it was a documentary. I don't know. It inspired a lot of people because it was a documentary. And people realized, wow, you can really do this. A documentary looking into the future. That's right. Wow. That's right. That is impressive. They call that a nostumentary. Oh, well then. And so Michael Vick is really playing football. Yeah. They have apparently a football team in prison.
And Michael Vick wanted to join to keep in shape and keep his arm nice and loose for his big return. Is that really fair? What do you mean it was fair? He's good. Yeah, but, you know. Real good. I'm sure there's a lot of convicts that are really good. Half the NFL's, you know. Can you imagine if his team lost in prison? How embarrassing. Yeah, well, yeah. You get traded for a pack of cigarettes if that happens. You get in a lot of trouble for that. Let's see. P1RC is on the line. Hello, RC. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good, bro. I know you're probably about to talk about some guys on Ellen's generous show about some dog, but I bet he's not as lucky as the dog that a guy from my company brought back to my rack after he got out of the Marine Corps, went down on a cruise, won a million dollars, and now this dog from the slums of Iraq is a millionaire with this kid. How did this happen? Somehow, some way, they got this dog back to my rack after they had a... All the shots, everything. Got it here to the States. He got out of the Marine Corps, went down on some cruise, and won a million dollars gambling. And now he's set. He's out of the Marine Corps, a million dollars, and he's got his lucky dog with him. That sounds like a pretty cool story, too. Are you in Iraq right now? There's a delay. I say something, and about eight seconds later, you seem to hear it, and then, ha, ha, ha, Mikey. Thank you, RC.
Thank you, Mikey. Thank you. P1 Steve is on the line. Hi, Steve. What's up, man? Hey, we just wanted to let you know there's a group of us down in Miramar. We're tired of being the P1 Army. So we got a little thing going. We're the Mikey's Marines. We're sending you guys a bunch of stickers that we made up. That's rad. That's awesome. Got a nice ring to it. I know it. Mikey's Marines. I like it, man. Thank you. Awesome. Thank you for calling in. Our city council's a mess. A mess. You don't say. San Diego City Council. What else is new? Well, I guess. What's going on, Skye? Well, which part? Are you talking about the SEC investigation or the lewd conduct incident? I don't know. Let's see. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Discuss right now. I mean, listen. I know that this is graphic. This is a news story. This person that was running for the city council? Former councilman. is currently running again to be on the city council. Was arrested for masturbating and urinating in public. And he just pled? No contest. I give up. Puts his hands out and he says, I give up. I'm not even a fighter. And I don't know what happens when you plead no contest. I think that what they do is they give you something less.
Yeah, a reduced sentence. Like, you know, I don't have the specifics, but I do remember hearing on the news last night that they were talking about dropping the urination charge and just focusing on the masturbation charge. Never thought I would hear these words. Yeah, his name's John Hartley, and he issued a statement saying, quote, I made a mistake, I accept full responsibility for my actions, and I promise not to let it happen again. Oh, good. End quote. Well, we appreciate that. And believe you. Yeah, you do not believe him, Ashley. No, no, no. and believe you. Oh, you mean genuinely, right? No, I was being sarcastic. So you think he'll do it again? No, it's not that I think he'll do it again. It's not that I think he'll do it again, but I think that we all know, for my past experience, when you say, like, I'll never do it again, like, that's just words. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, this one, I gotta say, I really don't think he'll do this one again. I don't see these two things being followed up by these two things again. Probably not. At least not in the county of San Diego. Well, yeah. Maybe go up to Riverside. Yeah, you know. If he's into that thing and he just, you know, he's going to plan a trip to Reno. Oh, man. So that's one deal. And then the other deal is all these charges are coming down. Charges are coming down against some city council people for doing bad stuff with that pension fund. Yeah.
Five former San Diego city officials were charged with fraud yesterday. This town needs an animal. That's right. That's the truth. Yeah, the federal complaint says that these five former city employees misled investors about the state of the pension system here in San Diego. You're telling me a big fat lie. So they say that these charges could take a year or so to prosecute, but the charges officially came down yesterday. There it is. So this is what happened in overtime last night in the big NCAA championship between Kansas and Memphis. Cut one. All right, so that pops the game into overtime. And then this. Cut two. Eddie, did you watch? Yeah, I did. It was actually a really exciting game. For most of the game, it was back and forth, back and forth.
And then Memphis really built up this big lead and, I mean, had the game won. And towards the end of the game, Kansas had to foul them to, you know, stop the clock and keep the clock, you know, from moving. Right. And Memphis missed all of their free throws. Come on. They missed them all. And so, you know, that kept Kansas in the game. And then you heard he hit a huge three-pointer to tie the game. But really, Memphis should have closed it out. If they would have hit half of their free throws. going down the stretch, they would have won going away. So I can't even imagine what those kids are feeling. Oh, that's got to blow. Yeah. P1 Art is calling in right now. And are you calling in to defend Mike Aguirre, Art? Yeah, I remember I talked to you guys a couple months ago. You guys were, for some reason, Aguirre wasn't a dude, and you guys were slamming him. And I go, listen, I called you guys back then. I go, he has the city's best interest at heart. Now I feel vindicated, Mikey. You feel vindicated? Well, listen, you know, these charges that have come down against these city officials for the pension fund, in regard to the pension fund, I've never had an issue with the investigation into the pension fund. In fact, we've been saying on this very show for a long time, the city is gnarly. It's all messed up. That's not my issue with Mike Aguirre, P1 Art. Here's the thing with Mike Aguirre. He just has the city's best interest at heart, and he may go around the wrong way.
No, he's got his best interest at heart. That's your opinion. Yeah, I think I may agree with Eddie on this one. I think that Mike, a lot of times, has Mike's best interest in mind. He might go about it the wrong way, but I really believe that he does. I'm going to vote for the guy again. There you go. That's Art Aguirre on the line. And I really appreciate your phone call today, Art. And you're going too loud, because you know it don't matter anyway. How funny would it be if that was actually Mike Aguirre changing his voice calling his cue on art? Text us. 35253 is the number. When we come back, we're going to do a couple of things. Oh, why don't you make me carry you up the stairs, too? Yes, I do. I do make you carry me up the stairs. There's a little chair that goes on my back, so I gotta carry you up the stairs. Yes, that's right. I don't like it. Many people are listening right now, and they've probably never heard Ramsey before, and I'm just gonna describe him. Yes, I am. He's so cute. We're going to be giving away some seats to come watch P.O.D. perform live in this studio to Molly. P.O.D. is going to be in the performance studio here at the radio station tomorrow. And we are going to give away ten pair of tickets to get to come in and watch it. Plus, we're going to give you breakfast. Let me do some of this. I texted my girlfriend, said it to my wife instead. Was drunk when I called her. She ever had your, uh, pocket run around for your keys and when you do it you accidentally hit the send button and it calls somebody and they hear a conversation maybe they shouldn't be privy to.
Or the opposite happens where all of a sudden your cell phone rings or your phone rings, you answer, you say hello, and the person on the other end doesn't realize they've called you on mistake and you're hearing something maybe you shouldn't hear. Eddie says it happened to him last week. Yep. What happened? Well, I was trying to get a hold of the DMV to schedule an appointment. Mm-hmm. And, you know, I had to go through all of their automated lines. Yeah. And I just wanted to talk to a person. Mm-hmm. And I'm trying to schedule, trying to schedule. Well, finally, it's transferring me to one of the offices here in San Diego. And I'm going to schedule an appointment. And I hear it go through. And then all of a sudden, I just start hearing a woman talk on the other end. And she's talking to one of her friends in the office, I guess. I don't know. And I'm like, hello, hello. And she can't hear me. And so I proceed to listen to a whole conversation about her talking smack. About somebody they work with. Oh, man. And I'm like, holy cow. And it was like not nice stuff. Really? She was going off on this person. Did she finally come on the line? No, never came up. And then I got disconnected. She hung up on me. It was weird. It was really weird. And that was a local San Diego office? Oh, my. That is a cell phone mishap right there. Definitely. P1 Eli, are you there? Eli, are you on the line? Yeah.
So you were talking to a friend about breaking up with his girlfriend, right? No, I was going to break up with my girlfriend. She was too possessive is the word I'm looking for. And what happened? Well, I was talking to him about it, and then she was the last person I had talked to, so I guess I pressed the send button twice and immediately it dialed her. And I didn't know this, and apparently she picked up. She heard my whole conversation of her being too possessive. And it's a good thing that I sort of broke up with her because the next day I find my passenger window broken into with all my possessions smashed into it. Oh, wow. Oh, no. That is not a stable environment. Exactly. Wow. There it is. That's P1 to Eli. P1 Misha, are you there? Yes, sir. So, your name is Misha. Yeah. Is that short for anything? Short for Mikael. There you go. Like Mike and Michael. Got it, got it. So you were hanging out, you were partying with your cousins. Yeah, you know how cousins just swoop into town out of nowhere and destroy everything? Yes. Yeah, I do. Much like I was 13 and so were my other two buddies. We just got finished with a hockey game. And we're driving around on the beach and looking back on this, it was probably not the smartest idea, but they had one of those old brick cell phones. The ones that you had to push down in order to turn off. We're pretty much drunk driving around, talking.
I mean, F-bomb this, look at that girl that. My mom's on the line the whole time. Not good. What was the punishment? Well, see, the worst part is we didn't know she was on the line. So we all get back, and we're still kind of tossed, and they just start repeating things that we were saying. Oh, God. Not good. You get that sinking feeling in your stomach. All right, dude, thanks for the call. That's Misha. Hey, P1J, you there? Yeah. So this is kind of interesting. You're going to buy a car. Yep. And what happens? Well, I saw there's a small dealership by my house. I went, I was driving by, and I wound up getting their number, and I called them. And, you know, the sales getting in really wanted me to go down there and all this and that, but I wanted to talk to them first. And he asked me to please hold on, and I heard him hit the button, but it was more like just a number. And he set the phone down, and he was asking another guy.
Hey, does that Acura still start? I heard him say no. And then he asked them, hey, can we move it out of this spot so it doesn't look like it's leaking oil? No way. Yeah, so when he got back on the phone, I was like, you know, are you talking about the car that I'm asking you about? He's like, oh, no, no, no, we're talking about another car. Right, exactly. Oh, dude, you should have said, so what kind of car are we talking about here? Like, what's it look like? Oh, it's an Acura. Should have sunk him. Thank you for the call. Happy birthday, Eddie. Thanks, dude. There it is. Eddie's 35 today. You going to do anything special, Eddie? I think me and my wife are going to go to dinner tonight. No. Nothing crazy. P1 Jessie, you there? No. What happened? Okay, well, this was a couple years ago, but an ex-boyfriend of mine was... He was looking at this truck that was completely unnecessary to buy. It was like one of the first old Fords. It wasn't running or anything, and I told him not to buy it. You know, he already had a couple cars. And so later on that night, he's at home, and I get a call from his cell phone, and I said, hello, hello, but no one was there. And I hear him talking to his mom and dad going, you know what, don't tell Jesse, but I bought the truck, and I'm just going to have to break it to her slowly. Did you ground him? No.
No, but he ended up selling it later on. There you go. There you go. Thank you for the call. You're welcome. That's a cell phone mishap. Yeah, you don't want somebody to hear the deal, but they end up hearing it. It's never good. No. It never goes over well. No. Did you guys hear that the entire cast of American Idol was on the Larry King show? No. I'm talking Simon, Randy, Paula, Seacrest. They were all on there. And Simon was saying that there was a band out that's pretty big that he's never heard of before the show, Cut Nine. So the viewer is entertained, Paula, as well as seeing you give. Absolutely. And it's done through wonderful performances. Like who? Like Hart and Fergie. And, oh, my God, there's so many. Mariah. Mariah Carey, who looked fantastic. And Randy played baseball. on stage, I didn't know who they were. Next thing is, you've got Fergie coming on doing cartwheels in, like, black rubber trousers. She was fantastic. It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. She was fantastic. She was fantastic. Can you imagine Simon Cowell? This guy is as famous as it gets and knows music, like, you know, really knows music. He's had to have heard of them, like, musically. He just didn't recognize them. She said, Paula said, well, he said, I didn't know who Hart was. They've, like,
People have sang heart songs on the show like a billion times. So there's like no way. I wonder if it's possible that when he started the show American Idol, he didn't know who they were. Is that possible? Well, he is talking about Sunday night. Yeah, because they've done a million heart songs on that show. Yeah, because he's talking about Sunday night when they were pre-taping for Idol Gives Back. Right. With Fergie performing with heart. So he's talking about something he just witnessed. It's really weird. And he didn't know who Hart was. Maybe he didn't recognize them. Maybe. That's my guess. Hillary Clinton was on the Ellen DeGeneres show. And here's Ellen asking her about how it feels when people tell her to drop out of the race. Cut 19. I know you're strong. We know you're a strong person. But still, to have somebody say to you, just stop right now. Get out of it. Well, you know. Boys used to say that to me all the time. And I figured, you know, this contest is close. I don't think either one of us should get out. We should let people vote. There are a lot of states that haven't voted yet. They deserve a chance to have their votes counted. And I just feel like I'm doing this for myself, obviously, because I believe so much in what our country can be again once we finally get through with President Bush and get back to being...
I feel like I'm doing it for a lot of people who believe in me, who have voted for me, who care about what I care about. And I'm not going to quit. Why would I quit? This country is worth fighting for. I'm having a good time. I'm enjoying it. Eddie has a very confused look on his face right now. I don't get what she meant. Like, I haven't told boys that before. Yeah, like, didn't she say boys have told me that before? I'm like, so boys told you to get out? I don't understand. Yeah. What does that mean? You know what we're going to do next? We're going to give away some tickets for people to come watch P.O.D. tomorrow. We're going to do that next. So don't go anywhere. Be here when we get back from commercials so you can maybe win. The Mikey Show continues. Thank you for being big enough to laugh at yourself this morning. Want to be a star?

For some reason, I knew you were a cradle robber. He's 17 years old.
Creepy. No, he's legal, I swear. How old is he? He's 25. How did you meet? Kindergarten. We actually met through family. We got hooked up from his cousin's wife and girlfriend. You got hooked up from his cousin's wife? And girlfriend. He has two cousins. One as a wife, one as a girlfriend. Oh, I gotcha. You know, penguins mate for life. That is true. You know, penguins are Ashley's favorite animal. They are my favorite animal. That's right. I know I said they mate for life, but that's inaccurate. That's not accurate? It is accurate. Ash, I thought they did mate for life. I thought they did too. No, there's a story of one that just got a divorce in Ohio. No. Listen, because my honey, my boyfriend, he got me March of the Penguins for Valentine's Day, so we watched it last weekend. And evidently, I was misspoken. They change partners every season. So they will stay loyal to that partner for that season. But then the next season, they will sometimes find another partner to mate with. That's very sweet. But for the season, they're really in love. Yeah, and they do not cheat. They're monogamous. And still my favorite animal.
Wasn't it Morgan Freeman that voiced that movie? Oh, yeah. A lot of people think that penguins are lesbians, but they're not. That's an old wives' tale. And they don't mate for life. They say... Oh, no. They say peek-a-boo. Okay, well, listen. Hang on the line, Penguin, okay? Penguin, hang on. Just hold the line. Mikey Show, who's this? This is P1 Pods fan. P1 Pods fan. Yep. How are you, Pods fan? I'm all right. How are you doing this morning? I'm good. You don't go by any other P1 name, do you? No. You've always been Pods fan. Oh, yeah. Hang on the line. Cool. Zeth, do we have a winner yet? I gave Rob the number. Okay. Rob, we're good to go? Yeah, we're good. Do we have a name or anything? Like, did they say anything? No, all I get is a phone number. All right, cool. Well, we got somebody. Somebody texted us. Yeah, it was P1 Alien Tooth. There you go. I just spoke with him. Alien Tooth. Awesome. P1 Alien Tooth was the first person to text us. And he's going to come in tomorrow and get to see P.O.D. perform live on the air. Lucky. It's going to be pretty awesome. Awesome. So we've given away three pair now. Is that correct? I believe so. And it's Eddie's birthday. What do you think about that? I think happy booster. Yeah, happy, happy. Mikey Show. It's P1 Dank. P1 Dank is on the line. Dank, how old are you? I am 25. That works. You got a significant other? Yes, I do. Is that who you're going to bring or are you going to bring a friend? I'm actually going to bring a friend because I actually got this week off and she doesn't, so. What about your friend? Does he have the day off? Yes, he does. Very nice. You a big P.O.D. fan? Yes, actually, to tell you the truth, I used to go to Foothills Christian Fellowship, and that's where they actually was playing before they became famous. Yeah. And Marcos worked at Hot Topic, too, and he was just the coolest guy. That's cool. You can go in there and just talk to him and hang out, and he'd tell you when he was going on tour and stuff.
They're all local guys. That's so cool. Yeah, it'd be cool to see Marcos again and see if he can even remember me because it was a long time ago. Don't fault him if you can't. I'll tell you what, man. I can't ever remember anything. Yeah. If I was a rock star, it'd be kind of hard to see somebody's face 10 years ago. Yeah, you meet so many people, man. Thank you. Hang on the line. What do we suppose he says there? Let's listen to it one more time. Eddie, what is it? Wuss Rock. Wuss Rock. Oh! Wuss Rock! Hey! Most of the band is taking their kids to school at this time listening to The Mikey Show. Yeah. So they may be able to call in and tell us exactly what it is that they're saying. I'm going to give away one more and that's it for now. Okay. And we'll give away some more a little bit later. Mikey Show, who's this? Hello. What's up? What is your name? This is P1 Yellow Fever. Are you a strange person or can we trust you in the studio? I'm strange. That's true. Do you currently have yellow fever? That's right.
Oh, okay. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. Do you have any illness of any kind? No, sir. Thank you. How old are you? I'm 30. All right. What do you do for a living? I'm in the orthopedic field. I don't know if I can trust somebody in the orthopedic field. Seriously, Mike. You married? Yes. That's why I have yellow fever. He's unnerving me. I don't get it, Mike. He's making me concerned. Ashley's concerned. Everybody's concerned. We're all concerned. What's a test? What can you say or ask that can test somebody for strangeness? Oh, that's a great question. That's a good question. Have you ever killed anybody for fun? That you know of. No, you have not. You have not. I don't believe you. All right, well, I think we're going to give you a shot. The Stone Temple Pilots have announced that they're getting back together and doing a 65-date tour. Kansas comes back to win the NCAA championship over Memphis last night, 75-68 in overtime. I think it's really weird that the STP tour is going to be that dual show with...
New Kids on the Block and STP. That's just strange. It's a strange bill to me. It doesn't make a lot of sense. That's not true. It seems like the audiences would be very different for each artist. No. That'll still be fun. Stop. Yeah, I mean, but the weird thing is it's just like two headliners. What are they going to do? Flip a coin each time to try to figure out who's going to do what? Remember back in the day when Metallica toured with Guns N' Roses? Oh, that was a great tour. Great tour, but same thing. Exactly. Yeah. I think. Well, not even close. Do you guys remember when we were talking to the guy from Iraq that was all over the news because he rescued a dog? Brian? Yeah. Well, he was on Ellen yesterday. Whoa. And it's a really cool story. He's a Mikey Show listener. And he wrote me an email directly and said, hey, man, I'd like to share this story with you. You know, it's getting pretty big, and I'd like to do an exclusive radio deal with you guys. I said, yeah, sure, come on the air. So he came on the air, and he talked with us about it.
It's a really touching story. What is the dog's name? Nubs? Nubs. Nubs. So he was on Ellen. You've heard me talk about the incredible story of a Marine who saved an injured dog in Iraq and brought him back to his home in San Diego. Actually, sent him ahead of time. We're very excited he's here today. And that's him. The dog came back first, then he came back to see the doggy. That dog was happy to see him. Please welcome Major Brian Dennis. Now he's walking out in uniform. That's got to be pretty cool for the guy. Heck yeah. The guy adopted a dog, and he's suddenly a star. National TV. Some dude. Yeah. See, they're playing the best friend song to the dog. Yeah, yeah. Isn't that cute? It was awesome. All right, so I know a little bit of the story. All I know is what you've done for this dog, but how did you first come across Nubs in the first place? Nubs is originally, well, I was a team leader of a border transition team. We worked along the Syrian border.
patrolling up there and stuff. And there's a bunch of ruins up there and border forts. And each one has like a pocket of dogs that lives there. And we kind of befriended a lot of them. And Nubs was... Just wild dogs just wandering around? Yeah, just running around. And so Nubs was one of them? Nubs was one of them. And he really took a liking to our team. I named him Nubs because his ears were cut off. But it was instant friendship. He loved our team. To this day, when he sees anyone in camis, he goes crazy. Really? Yeah. So he would actually follow you when you would try to leave? Oh, they're showing a picture of him holding this full-sized dog in his arms, you know, like a puppy. Like a baby. Like a baby. Like a barber. Like a barber. As we leave to the south, and he would run next to our Humvees. He's one of the fastest dogs I've ever seen. He'd run like 35 miles an hour right next to the Humvees. But the only dog. All the other dogs would go, okay, they're gone and walk away. A couple. A couple of other dogs would start out with us, but it would always end up, it was the last dog was Nubs, just trucking right next to us. And I'd have to tell my driver, all right, a little faster, a little faster, you know, he's staying with us. The story goes on for a while. She has him on for a little while. But that's such a great, great story of this guy bringing this dog back to the United States. And it's one dog there in Iraq that's not going to be injured or hurt or whatever. And he's going to be cared for here in San Diego now. The guy's from here.
So it's pretty cool. I have a random debate question, and I would like for The Mikey Show to discuss. Oh, no. Eddie, this is going to be really good for you, especially that it is your birthday. I'm going to have you start this debate. Okay. Anybody can call in about it if you want to, 570-1053. Random debate question. Is it harder to be a pitcher or a running back? Holy cow. Almost sprained your brain, right? Wow. Well, I could argue both sides. Wait, but these are two separate sports, right? Yeah, they're equally difficult. Being a pitcher, I think being a pitcher takes more skill, but being a running back, your body takes way more abuse and you have to be more athletically gifted. That's so difficult. I'm going to say...
The question is, what's harder? Which is harder? Harder? Being a running back. Even though the pitcher has to be in complete control. Like I said, it takes more skill, I think, to be a pitcher. But it's hard, man. You have a shelf life of maybe eight years. If you're a running back in the NFL, because your body just takes so much abuse. It's like me. You know, you hear running backs and other football players say, you know, it's like being in a train wreck or a car crash every single play. You know, the amount of abuse your body takes. So I think it's harder to be a running back. I don't know that we can ask Sky this question. No, but Eddie's just talked me into it. You're down. Like when you asked the question, I couldn't even begin to start on where to compare the two. But like when Eddie said that every time is like a car accident thing. Yeah, come on. Ash, what do you think? Well, back when I was 12, I was the pitcher of my softball team. How about that? I was an expert on the subject. That's right. I got to say, it takes immense skill to be able to do it. It's a lot harder than it looks. And I would have to say pitcher because you either have that skill.
to throw that curveball or you don't, Mike. It's not like being a running back takes no skill. It takes a lot of skill to be a running back. Well, I totally agree, but I feel like with a running back, you can build the strength to be able to do the job. With a pitcher, you've got to have that knack. Look at this. P1 Ryan agrees with Ashley. P1 Ryan. What's going on? Hey, I was drafted out of high school from New Orleans to high school, and I'll tell you right now, it's being a pitcher. What's up, Marauders? Marauders. You can't teach speed. Speed just happens. A lot of people are born with that athletic ability. Now, to be a pitcher, that takes different kind of muscle mass, you know, that's not familiar with the body. Hey, listen, you don't have to sell me on this one. I lettered in high school and college when I went to ASU. You didn't graduate high school. As a pitcher. You got your GED, bro. Yeah, I mean...
But then after that, when I went on to buy that shotgun and go to ASU, I definitely... Thank you for the call. It's not easy. It's not easy. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what's going on? This is John. I just heard your question. Which one is harder to be, a running back or a pitcher? Right. In high school, I played both football and baseball. And my older brother was the pitcher. And I played catcher. And in football, I played a running back. And I'm telling you, by far, there is 10 more times pressure to be on a pitcher. That's not the question, though. The question isn't what's more pressure. It's what's harder. That's what makes it harder. Pressure makes things harder. And the skill level involved is 10 times more because you have to get the ball in the circle. And it depends all on you. What's your name again? John. Okay, John. Let me switch the question on you, all right? All right. And I'm going to have you guys talk about this one, too. Okay. John, you're in the water. Would you rather see an alligator or a shark? Now, wait a second. Now, wait a second. Now, wait a second before you answer, John. Now, you are obviously in different kinds of water, so you have to put yourself in this scenario.
I don't like this. You're either going to be in a murky green river. Your head goes underwater, and in that murky green river, you see a cloud of mud kicked up, and you see that you are in the water with an alligator. No, thank you. Or you're out in the open water. This is easy. In the ocean. You decide it's very, very warm in this little boat that you're in. It's a lifeboat. You shut your filthy mouth. And you decide it's so hot, you've got to cool yourself. You wait a second, John. You've got to cool yourself. You just hang on to your horses. And you jump into that ocean. No, you don't. 20 feet below you, you see a white shark twitch because it just felt you jump into the water. And now it knows you're in the water. It's a good idea. So you need to decide, John, which would you rather be in? Which situation? In that murky green lake?
Water with the alligator or in the ocean with that shark? That's a tough question. I would go with shark. You are a crazy... First of all, you're wrong. You're wrong. Sky's shaking her head yes. Which one is scary? Yeah, that's my thing. What? A shark? There you go, Sky. Being able to see the enemy or not being able to see it. Everyone's scared of the dark because you can't see anything. No, no, no. I'm saying you can see both. You see the alligator. You see the shark. Which would you rather be in the water with? You say the shark? So you want to die. So you want to die. So you want to die. I could beat up an alligator. No, you could. Yes, I could. Have you seen Ace Ventura? Eddie's now flexing his muscles. Once they get their lock on you, you are done. Yeah, bring that death roll on. I'll take you out, boy. You will not. You will not. You will be at the bottom of the river. I'm dead. I'm dead with a shark. Forget it. No, you're not.
You punch him in the nose. You give him a little... He gets one taste, dude. He's like, I'm gone. I taste sweet. What they do is they just bite. That what just bites? They'll bite and they'll test it. And then if it's not like a whatever they're trying to eat, they'll let it go. You're delicious. You're meaty and bloody. My Cinnabon? He ain't going to spit you out, dude. Forget it. Forget it. Dude, you and Sky and Seth are crazy. You're crazy. You guys are crazy. I would definitely go with the shark. Okay. There's your death wish, bro. Let me tell you something. Definitely, by the way. Yeah, me too. I didn't even have to think about it. No way am I getting in the water with an alligator. Why? Describe the terror in the alligator that I'm not seeing. Okay, first of all, and, you know, I don't know anything about anything. These are just my impressions of how it would go down. With an alligator, I believe once they get that first bite in you, you're done. Those little jaws are locked. You are going under and you are done. And I, for some reason, believe that they're just like garbage disposals. They eat like anything that comes their way. With sharks, I feel sharks are picky eaters. They only eat when they're hungry or when they're provoked. And there's a lot of kinds of, lots of sharks that aren't, you know, human eaters. Not every shark is a great white. Plus, you can punch them in the face.
You can maybe get away. Now you're going to punch underwater. Punch him in the face. Come here. That's how people get away. Well, they poke him. Punch your nose. I think you could poke. Why couldn't you punch an alligator in the face? Yeah, you punch him right in the face. Because that's not going to make them open those jaws. Have you seen Ace Ventura? Yeah, hello. Actually, that was a great point. But that wasn't a documentary, you guys. Texts are coming in. It's a movie. Guys, it's harder to be a running back. You deal with a whole team trying to stop you. Yeah. Pitchers alone on the mound. Mikey, I say pitcher running back can run with a good line. Next one says Mikey running back for sure as far as hard goes. Eddie's right. Skill goes to baseball. That's P1 Dank. So there it is. Never in a million years would I want to be in the open ocean with a shark. No way. Thank you, Mike. I would be scared literally to death. I mean, why do you think that the movie Open Water and Jaws exists? There ain't no alligator. Where's all the alligator movies? You know what I mean? Exactly. And I am not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Kittner boy spill out. See? They ain't cutting that alligator open to see the Kittner kid spill out all over the world. I'll beat an alligator's ass. I will, man.
Chuck that sucker out, man. A little rear naked choke action. Good night. Say uncle. Say uncle. Rear naked choke. Say uncle. What are these things? What are these things they're talking about? You know what I'm saying, Mike. 570-1053. What is your opinion on the two topics that I've thrown out there? I would like to see what everyone thinks. So call. We will talk to you next. Attention. Eddie is singing Oh Shawnee. Shawnee, I'm sure, loves that. He does. He told me. I don't think so. I just got an IM for him saying thank you. Thank you very much. I'll save it. Let's see. People are calling in and texting about this alligator versus shark thing. This is a big one. I'm furious at this guy. Alligator. Alligator. Alligator. Alligator. Alligator. Alligator. Alligator. Alligator. Let me see. But before we get to that. You don't get it, man. Before we get to that, we are going to, let me read a couple of texts. Tell Eddie he doesn't look a day over 25. Here, here. Happy birthday, stud. Real fresh. That's P1 Quimby. Ladies and gentlemen, P1 Nerd has just walked into the studio. Hello, Earthling.
Pretty fly for a nerd. That's right, man. P1 Nerd is in the studio, Eddie, because, well, he contacted me last week, and he wanted to know if he could, on behalf of the P1 Army, come in today. And P1 Nerd, tell everybody about what's going on. Well, a couple of the P1 site members decided to get you a couple of presents for your birthday. That's very nice of you guys. That's right. They teamed up. And P1 Nerd is the P1 Site ambassador today. Awesome! So he has come. No other way. That's right. He's come on behalf of P1Site.com. So what do you got, Nerd? What did you bring today, Freddie? All right. So I don't want to take all the credits, so I got to let you know that it was from P1 Danny, Charles, the original Jason, the one with the license plate. Sweet. TZ, Sidlish, Spaceboy, Quimby, and, of course, me. There you go. Thank you very much. And what do you got, P1 nerd? Chewbacca. Oh, dude, I've always wanted this. Eddie, what is it? What is that, Eddie? Eddie, what is that? Eddie, what is that? It's a box, and it's got a very cartoonish looking Chewbacca on it. That is rad. What is it? It's, I don't know. They're called Mighty Mugs. Yeah. Is it a mug? I don't think so. It's not. It's just a toy.
A replica of Chewy? Yeah, it's just a toy. Now, Eddie, here's my question for you. This is, by the way, for ages six plus. What are you getting at? No, no, no. I was just reading the box. It's Chewbacca, and you can see him through the plastic. So my question, Eddie, is do you take this out and put it on your... You gave it back to me. Let's play with it, Mike. It comes with a crossbow. Oh, that's a bowcaster. Now, Eddie, can we take it out and play with it? No. Okay, I see. No. We cannot take it out and play with it. So you'll leave it in the box. Yeah, I'm going to display that proudly. The next thing is a desktop lamp or light. It's a... It's a lightsaber. Lightsaber. That is rad. It's a lightsaber. Oh, this is, like, from Japan. Yeah. Hey, now, for those of you that don't know and are not as familiar with Star Wars as the rest of us, a lightsaber's like a gun, you know? It's their weapon. It's their weapon. Stop it. It's their weapons. They're weapons. They would stab them. They also used it to illuminate rooms. That's right. It was like a killer flashlight. Why are you trying to ruin his gift? Blues, reds. You ever lost in like a cave? Reds were bad. And they sliced people in two. Right? This is correct. They sliced people in two. They do, Eddie. They sliced people in two. In fact, in the movie Star Wars. Mike. That's true.
It was Obi-Wan Kenobi that was... He wasn't sliced in two. He was not sliced in two. Oh, no. Sliced in two. And then his memory... No, he was not. You know? So, Eddie? What about his memory? Went on. His memory? This is becoming the worst birthday ever. No, come on. Look at that thing. It's so great. On the back of that thing, it's got Japanese words written on it. And it's a replica because, you know, you can't get the real thing. It's harder to get. Yeah. What are you talking about? It's not the real lightsabers. Why are you acting like this? Now, where will you put this, Eddie? Are you going to display them all in the same place? This one I may have to use because it's pretty cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like a light. There you go. Two more things. Go ahead, nerd. Go ahead. Gift card so you can get Star Wars Unleash the Game later on this year. Very nice. Thank you. Very, very nice. This is too much. And the last thing, of course, pineapple. Oh, a pineapple. Hey, that's fantastic. That is only... For those of you that don't know why. Is that his idea? No, that was Queen Bee. There you go. The reason a fresh pineapple is because Eddie admitted one time on the air that sometimes. Three years ago. That's right. Once. He admitted that he will cut up a pineapple, watch television on the couch, and pretend that he's on a deserted island and that this is the food that he's found. People should do that. When you eat fruit.
pretend like, oh, you found this fruit and it's so delicious. It makes it better. It makes it taste better. There you go. How about that? So, happy birthday, Eddie. Thank you, P1 Army. You guys are the best. P1 site, it's the best. It rules. And you guys are awesome. Nerd, thank you for being an ambassador today for the P1 site. Yes, greetings and salutations. And thank you, Earthling, for coming to see us. We appreciate that. As P1 nerd, thank you. Very cool, you guys. Here's some more of the text that we're getting. Thank you, bro. We'll catch you soon. Alligators are the worst. Thank you. You cannot hold their mouth shut. There's another one. Sharks rarely attack people. You cannot hold their mouth shut. Yes, you can. Have you seen Ace Ventura? I think you can't open their mouth once it's shut. Oh, that's what it says. You can hold its mouth shut. The next one says sharks rarely attack people unless they look like fish. Thank you again. Plus, they don't like the taste of human. Gators are more aggressive and attack more. Let's ask those guys on the USS Indianapolis if they look like fish and didn't like the taste of them. That was different. What are you talking about? There's a lot of blood, a lot of confusion involved in that. Mikey, I would take the shark over the alligator any day. What? See? A shark. They're the best. Says a shark will usually take a bite and swim off, but alligators keep on attacking. Bring it.
You're going to need a bigger boat. I'll fight one right now. I want to see Eddie fight an alligator. I'll wrestle that son of a gun. You can do it. I'm not scared. Nice knowing you. This one says, Mikey, being a running back is way harder. You get beat up for a living. Pitchers also have relievers if they have a bad day. Great point. Mikey, the only thing is pitchers can get killed playing their sport. Has a running back ever been killed on the field? Well, dude, a running back has a chance to be paralyzed or killed on the field at any time. How do pitchers get killed? Like if a ball gets hit back at them and hits them in the head. Aren't the chances of that extremely rare? Yeah, but it happens. All the time. Let's see. Mikey, alligators worse for sure. Sharks have so many rows of meat-eating teeth. Well, they're making the point of both. I don't understand. They both have pretty bad teeth. Yeah. I think that the sharks are worse. Yeah. They have more teeth and they're sharper, it looks like. Absolutely. Alligators' teeth, they look like, I don't know, they look like dominoes. Exactly. They don't really even look that sharp to me. They look like big giant chiclets in their mouth. And you can probably punch them out. Of course. Oh, okay. Good luck with that. We didn't get to talk about this because we were out yesterday. Let's see.
Let me hear 42. From my cold dead man. That's right. That was him speaking. That was Charlton Heston. Former friend of the show. That's right. Former friend of the show. Poor Charlton. That was him speaking from an NRA speech. He's big on rifles. Big on firearms. And he said that he was not going to give up his weapons in this country. And one more time, Charlton, what? From my cold, dead hand. That's right. That's what they would have to do in order to get his rifles. Now they can do it. That's right. Cut 43. You're sticking paws off me, you damn dirty ape. Awesome. One of Sean's favorite movies. That's right. All-time favorites, yes. The Ten Commandments. Cut 45. What gifts do you bring? You're the word of God. What is this word? Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, people go. Never seen it. Apparently Moses was an overactor. That's right. That is correct. So here was President Bush saying goodbye to Charlton Heston, cut 41. Charlton Heston himself has become one of the great names in film history. Charlton Heston has left his mark on our country as an artist, as a citizen, and as a patriot.
I loved him in Easy Rider and Rocky. No, President Bush. When he won the fight in Rocky, I was shocked. He didn't. He didn't. That wasn't Charlton Heston. Yeah, thank you. It's the President of the United States. Loved him in Vision Quest and Xanadu. He wasn't in that. And in Grease 2. President Bush, he wasn't in any of those films. Definitely not. Breaking 2, Electric Boogaloo. President Bush, you always go to that one. Okay, fine. Kramer versus Kramer. You got me there. You got me. There. You happy? That's President Bush, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you, President Bush. Did you guys hear? In Vallejo, California. Does everybody know where Vallejo is? Yes. Yeah, it's up where we used to live in the Bay Area. In fact, they got this, they got Wild Animal Park up there. But it's not, no, no. Marine World Africa, USA. Marine Park. Marine World. Wild Marines. Africa, USA. Exactly. That's bad. They got the black and white, sir. Oh, yeah. They got fish and roller coasters. It's fun. But anyway. Makes sense. Exactly. A couple got married there this weekend. And it was. It was really sweet. And they decided they were going to do it at their house, you know.
In Vallejo? Yeah, in Vallejo. And so they got married there at their house and everything. And then after the wedding, and Eddie, this happened at your wedding. People decide that they're going to have adult beverages. They're going to, you know, they're celebrating. It happens at most weddings. Most weddings, people say, you know what, the wedding is over. Let's now celebrate. They call it a reception. And it goes really good in most cases. It goes really, really well. And people have a good time. That's what it's all about. And so in this particular instance, it didn't go the way that it was supposed to. What do you mean? Cut 36. I do now pronounce them. There are some things you just don't forget about your wedding day. The vows, the cake, the well wishes, the taser. Turns out Saturday night wasn't all wine and roses for the happy couple. Although maybe there was plenty of wine. Music was really loud. Late into the night, the party was still going strong at their house in Vallejo. That's when the police arrived, responding to loud music complaints. Them do what they do is they win night. They got to have fun. But it was when officers came a second time that the party got even stronger. The groom was outside. I believe his new wife accompanied him and the brother of the groom. He took a fighting stance, took his shirt off, pulled his hands up in fists and danced on one of the officers. And as a result of that, he was caved. What?
You got to tell this wedding night that's shady. Teresa's new bride was cited for public intoxication as well. Looking out the window, it was like 15 cop cars. So instead of their night celebrating, they were taken to a cell and left waiting. You don't want to talk about it at all? You guys going to go on 100? If they do plan the honeymoon, let's just hope the hotel won't be booked. And they won't be either. Okay. Congratulations, guys. Our text number is 35253. It's Eddie's birthday. And we're playing all his favorites like O'Sheri. I mean, just see if these are our favorites. Cherry pies.
When we come back from the break, you'll be hearing another song that Boston Rob feels is one of Eddie's favorites. I've given him suggestions. He doesn't even care. He's got it, man. He's got it under control, dude. So when we come out of this break, we're going to hear one of the other songs Rob considers Eddie's... Cherry pie? One of Eddie's favorites. Eddie, is this in your iPod right now? Are you playing this out in the car right now? You guys get a lot of calls every morning that... People will pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean stuff. Every one of you are great. Thank you. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Want to be a star? Things are winding down here a little bit. We've got better looking speeds out of the South Bay. Just minor delays on the 5 and 805 northbound up to National City. 805, though, once you get into Kearney Mesa, a pretty grunge grabs you at the 163, and that's a slow one of over the 52. West 94 on the King Freeway, not too bad. Just a few breaklights from 28th Street now left over into downtown. Your westbound 8 ride is looking pretty good out of the East County. A little slow from the 805 in towards Texas Street here in the valley, though. Heading south of the 15, that's breaking up. So funny, a bit of a slight tough ride from the 78 to the Urantia Parkway.
Some brake lights into Rancho Bernardo, then again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. Let's see, westbound 52, looking fine at the Santee, but still pretty much tough at approaching the 805. That's a slow one into San Clemente Canyon. And this coaster ride, a traffic alert in effect from a bad injury crash blocking the two left lanes past Lomas on a free drive, and that's got you backed up in single digits out of Encinitas. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. This is the official home of the Key Morning Show. Genius in its stupidity. MyCricket.com slash San Diego. Featuring the Battle of the Sexes. We've been doing Battle of the Sexes now for, I don't know, four weeks? Maybe we'll make this worth minus two. Eddie, your question is, your final question. Donkeys. Emma Bunton is more commonly known as what member of the Spice Girls? Curry Spice. That's incorrect, Eddie, but you win.
The Mikey Show. Rock 105.3. Birthday. I don't know what that dance is called that he's doing. It's rad. Playing all his favorite music. Welcome back to the show. It is 820. After worldwide protests, security is high with the Olympic torch arriving in San Francisco for its only North American stop. Greg Maddox had a great game yesterday throwing seven strong as the Padres beat the Giants 8-4. Earlier I asked a question that has a right and a wrong answer. The question to all of you was, would you rather be in the water with an alligator or a shark? Yeah. And I think the response was clear. Yeah. Well, the answer, yeah, the response was clear and wrong. The answer that people were getting, you know, I was getting the most on text and a couple people called and said was that they'd rather be in the water with an alligator, which is wrong. Stupid. Oh, no, no, no. That they would rather be in the water with a shark, which is wrong. Completely wrong. That is not correct. You'd rather be in the water with an alligator. Absolutely.
Shark is worse. Yes. Sharks are the scariest things on the planet. P1 Swimmer. Next to Killer Whales. Hey, what's up, man? What's up, dude? What's going on, Mikey? First off, I just want to say happy birthday, Eddie. Thanks. And I would have to say that sharks are definitely worse. Because if you get bit by a shark, you're not just losing, you know, a little nibble off your skin. You're losing a whole chunk. And then once, you know, say if it doesn't like you, well, then you've got other sharks in the ocean coming around and giving you another, you know, nibble. Yeah, because they like blood. And let me tell you something. Eddie was so irritated at Skye right now. He walked over to her side of the console. And he said, how dare you not mention the story that I'm seeing right in front of you right now. And she says, hey, listen, Mike has not gone to it yet. Oh, she knows what she's doing. I am respecting the host of the show and I'm following his lead. Oh, you are. No. Skye, would you like to tell everybody what the story is? No, thank you. Well, it's the story of the first... Fatal shark attack in two years in Australia. Oh! What do you know about that? You hear that? It's been two whole years. Oh yeah, it must have been a finisher. Yeah, you don't hear about these fatal alligator bites. No, you don't bite all the time.
It's like one of those things that just becomes so commonplace that they don't even refer to it anymore. Sky, do they know what kind of shark it was? No, they don't. I guess the 16-year-old victim was bodyboarding. So, you know, everyone take that into consideration. What does that mean? Yeah, what does that mean? Well, you're bodyboarding. You look like a fish. You don't look like a fish. You do. You kind of look like a sea. You look like a seal, especially if you're on a wetsuit. Well, what does that mean? He was asking for it is what you're saying? Oh, that's terrible. I'm just saying. You've never heard that, that like when you're on the surfboard or you're bodyboarding and it will look more appealing. Yeah, that's why we're saying. sharks are more dangerous. Right. You didn't say that I'm in a wetsuit bodyboarding in the ocean. Well, no, but you don't hear about some dumb alligators ever mistaking people. They're real smart. They get it. They just eat everybody. They're like, oh, that's a person. I don't want that great. Anyway. Oh, fast. That's great. Unless I get beat up an alligator. So true, Eddie. It's not true.
So this guy's bodyboarding just north of Sydney and I guess his friend sees him out there and sees some shenanigans going on and goes out there to try and help his friends and then just sees just blood everywhere and then sees a massive shadow move and then grabs his friend and... Takes his friend, drags his friend back to the beach. You're not freaking out right now? Like, just saying that? Come on, Scott. Come on. Pulls his friend into the shore, but his friend died shortly afterwards due to all the blood loss. Of course. Yeah, because those teeth are so big and razor sharp. Exactly. It's fatal. It's the worst. So, the Chargers have decided to give Clinton a heart. A five-year extension. Well, you know, here's the deal, Mike. Please, Eddie. Clinton started all 16 games last year. President Clinton? No. Clinton Hart. He started all 16 games last year, and apparently A.J. Smith really likes him and thinks that he's going to be real good. Do you like him, too? Eddie. Are you asking me? I'm asking you.
I felt that Clinton Hart had some okay games and had some good plays last year. I felt that he could improve a little. Well, Chad Johnson's on the line. He has a couple questions for you, Eddie. Yeah, that's it. That's all I was going to say. Eddie, are you sure? Well, I don't really know what else I have to say. Well, I mean, do you feel? Yeah. That the five-year extension was a good idea for Clinton Hart? That's a good question. Eddie. Eddie Papani, the Oracle, everybody. Yes. Oh, he said again? Eddie. Again to you, yes. I see. I get confused. What do you think over there? Okay. Well, I guess that says that then. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Yeah. Anything else you want to talk about? I guess not. Okay. I guess that explains it all. Okay. Me and Ocho Cinco are out of here. There you go. Ah! So remember how UCLA Medical Center was having employees looking into Britney Spears' private medical records? And then Farrah Fawcett, same thing. First of all, they fired 13 people when it happened with the Britney Spears deal. 13 separate employees at UCLA Medical Center were taking a peek at private files just because they were curious. So they fired 13. Then it happens again, this time.
Farrah Fawcett. It's happened again. Come on. No. Come on. Who this time, Skye? Maria Shriver. The governor's wife. Yeah. That was right. So somebody's going to die over this one. I don't think anyone's going to die. She's a machine. She's a machine? We've been trying to hide it. We had it in our records at UCLA Medical Center. That's where we keep our ectoskeleton. Yeah. Yeah, we start... in a cryogenic hydroponic system chamber over at UCLA Medical Center. It's UCLA, actually. Are you serious? Yes. This whole time I've been calling it UCLA. Well, you know, tomato, tomato. I mean, that one's not even close. It's a subcorporation of Cyberdice. Cyberdice is freezing a lot.
Does somebody smell like BL or is it me? I haven't changed this t-shirt since the movie came out. It's definitely you. It's you. Yeah, it smells like BL. I mean, I don't even need to. You're a machinist. Well, no, I just didn't know that they would put sweat glands. Maybe tissue over endoskeleton. Yeah, that is true. Well, I don't know how that works. And if you want to know more about it, go to Amazon.com and get the Criterion edition DVD that's coming out tomorrow. All right, cheap love. I put my legs on two pence at the time. Speaking of The Governator, he was in the movie True Romance with Jamie Lee Curtis. True Lies. Yeah, that's right. True Romance and True Lies, the two of them. They were great movies. They're quite a pair. He was with Christian Slater. That's right. Kind of like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Exactly. They did a lot of projects together. Well, they were in that movie together, and Jamie Lee Curtis, she was talking to who, Sky? Oprah. She said to Oprah Winfrey.
Well, she was on Oprah's show yesterday. I don't know the specific reason. I know her birthday's coming up. She's turning 50. She's a Maphrodite. Why? What? Very true. Yeah, there was a rumor going around that she had both parts of a man and a woman, but that was a rumor, and she addressed it at one point and said, it's not true. She's all men. What was she supposed to say? But anyway, she was on the Oprah Winfrey show, and she said that she regrets ever doing the topless scene that she did in the movie, What was it? Eddie Murphy? No, don't tell me. True Romance. Yeah, close. It was Trading Places. Yes, Winthorpe. Winthorpe. She's been nude in a few movies. Yeah, that's not the only one, right? She regrets that one the most. Why? She was nude in other movies? Oh, yeah. Topless, right? Yeah. She was not topless in any of the Halloween movies. But I thought so. I thought maybe she was. I don't know, though. She's got a nice set. Yeah, one life for a guy, you know. It's pretty good. For a dude. I'm assuming Eddie means that she has twins. Fraternal. Fraternal twins is from what I understand. I think you talked about her eyes. Her eyes. They're a beautiful set of eyeballs. It's the most beautiful I've ever seen. But she said back then when she was making those films, she didn't, you know, think that she would ever think to the future of being a mother. And now, you know, that she's a mom and she has kids, she wouldn't have done that. Wow. Again.
There you go. Either way, congratulations. Today is Eddie's birthday. Oh. Yes. The man is 35 years old. Stop it. Wow. Don't talk about it. Yes. 570-1053 if you want to go see P.O.D. in the studio tomorrow. Holy cow, what are you doing? You want to see P.O.D. in the studio tomorrow? We're getting out of control now. How many do we have left? Well, we only did the three, right? I thought we gave away four. Five total. Five? Okay, so five are gone. We got five more, and that's it. Five more. That's it. Mikey Show, who's this? This is P1 Brew. Hi, Brew.
How old are you? 30. Are you capable of coming in here tomorrow? I'm so capable. Are you a POD fan? I've been sitting here at work hoping to try to get in here. Well, you're very nervous. Calm down, calm down, calm down. Come on, Brew. Brew, what do you do for a living? I engineer roofs for custom homes. You engineer roofs for custom homes? Yes. Now, why do they say engineer roofs? I've never heard it put that way. Because you need to engineer the roof trusses to make sure your roof doesn't fall down on you when you're sleeping. Did you go to like architecture school or what did you do? Self-taught. Self-taught? Lots of trial and error. That's how I became a surgeon. Self-taught. Yeah, pretty much. Wow, bro. Well, that is frightening. Jim Brewer. Yes. All right, dude. Well, you're going to come in. Who are you going to bring? My wife. All right, cool. How old is she? She's 24. And you're how old? 30. Look at you. I know. How did you guys meet? We met at Palomar College. Is that right? Yeah. What were you taking? Acid. I was just there for the girls, Mikey. Yeah? You don't want to tell me what you were taking? I believe I was taking speech. You're taking a speech class. What was she taking? Probably math or something. And how did you get her to like you? What was your approach with her? I smiled. Come on.
I swear, I smiled. You just smiled and that was it. That's what it was. And she instantly fell in love with you. I wouldn't say instantly, but maybe a day or two later. There you go. Look at his face. All right. Hang on, bro. All right. You are set to come and hang out in the studio. Mikey, show who's this? This is Jesse. Uh-oh. I'm nervous. He didn't even say P1. He didn't say exactly. That's a good thing because that guy made me mean. Wow. Nice call. Hey, Jeffy. What's your name? Mikey Show. Who's this? P1 Nick. P1 Nick. This sounds better already. Nick, how are you? I am doing a lot better now. How old are you? I'm 21. You are 21 years old. What's going on? Dumb. Eddie's making me laugh. It's very childish. We're very childish with each other. We're very childish. I actually liked it. Nick, you are 21 years old. I am. And what do you do for a living? Bro! What do you do? I work construction with my dad. All right. Well, can you come in tomorrow? I absolutely can. Who are you going to bring?
I'm not sure yet, but I'm sure I can find somebody. Yeah, you gotta find somebody. Alright, hang on the line, okay? Eddie's giving me the break sign. Eddie turns 35 years of age today. What did I say? When we came back, what was I going to do? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Got to read you this email. Okay, so check it out. Let's see. Okay, here it is. Mikey, had to write and tell you about this girl I was dating. Everything was pretty cool until I went over to her place. I had to use the bathroom, and that is when I saw the monstrosity, otherwise known as her toothbrush. What? This thing was so old. And gnarled and abused. Oh, gross. That a chimpanzee wouldn't have used it. I wasn't sure if she was using it to clean her bathroom floor or what. Oh, maybe. So I had to ask. She said that she loves that toothbrush and hadn't changed it in five years. Oh, my God. Five years? Okay. No.
Okay. Dude, there's something wrong here. That's pretty excessive. I was so grossed out that I left. I haven't called her since. How gross is that? Signed, P1 Greg. It's really gross. Sean, can you imagine finding that out after you kissed her? No! OMG! OMG! OMG is right. Wow. That's a deal breaker, sure. Yeah, that's gross. Sean's really freaking out. Oh! He's doing the McCulky Culkin look right now with both hands on the face. Honestly, I don't... I think this guy's just playing around. He's not playing around. I think he's just joking. He's not joking. He said five years. Five years. I know. That's the hilarious joke part. Well, because I know, like, you know...
People have different routines when it comes to, like, me and the hubby are very different when it comes to changing our toothbrush head because we have, like, the Sonicare. Yeah. He wants to change it after everything. You know, if he has a cold, he immediately changes it. Always a toothbrush change after you're sick. Oh, you're supposed to do that? Oh, come on, of course. See, there's these things because I didn't do it. All the bacteria and stuff. Yeah, because the reason is because, you know, your sickness is on there. I mean, you know what I mean? But then what if you like say, because what if it's like a new head and those things aren't cheap, you know? So what if you dip it in some like Listerine? Nah, that, yeah, that might do it. But I would say just be safe. It would do it. It would do the job. Okay. But I think that just to be safe, Sean is like, no, it won't. Because I've also heard the old trick, put your toothbrush under really hot water for 30 seconds and it gets rid of all the bacteria. Sean. Sean, is that true? No! No, it's not true. Is there some sort of standard? Like, what's the... Yeah, Sean, how often... Throw it away! What's the standard? Throw it out! Sean is a germaphobe. Oh, my gosh. Sean, how often do you change your toothbrush, and how often should people change their toothbrush? Well, I think they say to change it, like, every... I think they say to change it, like, every three months or something. Yeah, three months.
But I change mine every month. Every month? Yeah, for sure. Wow. If I could go that long. Just because you're grossed out by your own germs. Yeah, I mean, as soon as I see the tips start to, because I inspected, as soon as I see the tips start to fray, it's done. It can't possibly clean correctly. Go ahead. Sean, do you have one of the bathrooms that your toilet is separate from your bathroom area? Yeah, yeah. Well, there's matter in the air. That's the truth. That is not a joke. Did you guys know that? What Eddie's saying is not a joke. They have tested toothbrushes. And when you go to the restroom, particles of that end up on toothbrushes. And that's not a joke. That is not. So if your sink area is in the same space as your toilet area. Absolutely. Be careful. 100%.
That's why I keep mine in the kitchen. Is there a home test for that? I use fecal crest. That's a good product. That is a good product. I use aqua poop. It's not funny. I want to know about Rob. I want to know about Rob because when Eddie said the three month rule, Rob laughed. Like, I think I can afford a toothbrush every three months. No, my mom got me one for Christmas, like, two years ago, and it works fine. No! Two years! I bet Charissa doesn't know that. No, I would hope not. If you looked at my toothbrush, it's, like, an expensive one. I don't know. An expensive one? Yes, it's made of solid gold and ivory. It is expensive. I'll bring it in. It costs 75 cents. Uh-uh, uh-uh. Yuck. But I have a... I have, like, three different ones. I have one expensive one that I keep because the thing is like... What's an expensive one, Rob? It's, like, automatic. You, like, press the button, it brushes your teeth for you. Got it, got it. Oh, fancy. Yeah, and then I got... Takes a dirt, so. But I can't afford them, so I put the one with the cat on it. Yeah. No, and then I got, like, two other toothbrushes. I got one in my backpack that's in my car. Your getaway backpack?
It's not a getaway backpack. Oh, yes it is, Rob. Let's be clear. It's a getaway backpack. You never know backpack. Thank you. You never know if the warrant will be issued for your arrest. Mikey Show. Hello. 5701053. What's the longest you've had your toothbrush? That's so foul. 5701053. No, I don't want that. I have... More than one toothbrush. I have a toothbrush at the sink and I have a toothbrush in the shower. Really? Yep. You brush your teeth in the shower? Mm-hmm. Oh, that's the best. Yeah, that is the best. Yeah, I brush my teeth in the shower, you know, every day. But sometimes, like if I'm, like let's say it's, I'm going out for the evening and I'm not going to take a shower, I want to brush my teeth before I leave so I got one at the sink because I don't want to be getting in and out of the shower to grab the toothbrush. Right. But I do not have the fancy kind like Rob. I got your run of the mill. And I will not use anything harder than a medium. You know, medium. What do they call it? Bristle. Bristle. Don't use more than medium. And they say you should use soft. Sensitive gums. No, they say you should never use a hard toothbrush. Dentists say. Why do they make them? I don't know why. But dentists say don't use them. They say that they're way too. I'll tell you why they make them. I do remember. Dennis told me one time why they make them. Because of people like Sean.
That they know will buy the crazies. Guys, he's not crazy. He's a pervert. That's what it was. That's what she meant. That's what she meant. I get those words confused. And it's pervert. He's a pervert. I stand corrected. He wears a suit. Now, what they say is that the people believe that if they brush harder, with a harder brush, it's getting the job done better. It's true. Sean uses a hard brush. It's not good for your gums. I'm sure he has scraped his gums to the point. You know what I mean? They're fine. Of no return. That's right. There's no going back. All he can do is just put on a panda mask. Yeah, that's all you can really do at this point. I mean, at this point, all you can do is put on a panda mask. How do you feel about that, Sean? Right? I feel it's a cheap shot, but okay. That's what you got to do. You guys are fools. Bamboo strengthens your teeth. It's true. Oh, wow. My bad. Glad I could help you. You have to picture what Sean's done, okay? What he's done is he's taken a long piece of bamboo, okay? And then he's tied a bush to it with palm fronds. Okay. What you're saying is true. I like this. And he brushes with it. Uh-huh. Isn't that right, Sean?
Yes, Mike. Stop it. P1 Sarah is on the line. I beg you to be there. Sarah. She's not there. P1 Beef, are you there? Sky, I've never seen you do that. Well, it's his birthday. I thought, you know. Eddie threw a wad of paper at Sky's face, which 95% of the time, I don't even mention it anymore when I see it. I mentioned it right now because this time when he threw it, she stuck her tongue out to try to catch it. Opened her mouth and stuck her tongue out to try to catch it. Well, it's kind of like miniature golf when you have, you know, the little clown face. Yeah, you're the clown. Yeah, I'm the clown. You're a clown. For your birthday. P1B, are you there? Yep. Go ahead. How long do you use your toothbrush? Well, my toothbrush is only about a year old. It's a year old. Only about. Yeah, it's only a year old. I go, I get a new toothbrush.
Every time I go to the dentist. And you go once a year. That's it? Every six months. Once a year. Oh, come on, Skye. Do you go every six months? Yeah. For real? Actually, the previous year, I went three times in a year, and then I got charged by the insurance and caused it. I don't go very often. I take pretty good care of my teeth. I floss and I brush, but I don't go very often because I don't like dentists. Yeah, it's supposed to be every six months. I go four times a year. Sean? For what? Yeah, I go four times a year to get my teeth cleaned. And you just have to pay out of pocket for the extra two times? Yeah. Yeah. Sean? What? You will go sit in that chair four times a year? You are damn right. I love that man. That's what I'm saying. I'm sure it's his heaven. I haven't been in seven years. What, Eddie? What did you just say? Eddie, what did you just say? What the heck just happened? Eddie, don't back away from the microphone. You come back. Do not play air bagpipes. Don't play air bagpipes. Your headphone cord. Sean, you're not going to like this. Sean, you may want to take your headphones off. What's the word? Eddie just said he hasn't been to a dentist in over seven years. Sean just took his headphones off. Sean's leaving. He's walking out of the studio. I tried to warn him. Sean, you're never going to be in my mouth. Don't worry. What a bet.
This text message says, Sean brushes way more than the normal person, so his toothbrush is probably worn out like B-Rob's after a month. So is his enamel. Mikey Mythbusters did a show on the dirtiest places around the house. The toilet seat was the most sanitary. Toothbrush was one of the worst. Wow. Use your toilet seat, guys. Mikey, I babysit. Sean is back. He just came back. Mikey, I babysit for a woman that doesn't throw away her kids' toothbrushes. She washes them in the dishwasher. That is so gross. See, I don't know. I don't know that it's gross to me. It's so backwards. It's disgusting. Why disgusting? Bits of food and everything go through that toothbrush because it's on your plates.
The cleaner that you use for your dishwasher is probably not sanitary for your mouth. No. But compare that to a drinking glass. Yeah, you're going to put that in your mouth. You're going to fill that with a liquid, which you're going to swallow. Like, I don't see the difference between that and a drinking glass. Something's wrong in my mind. It's not minty fresh. That's the deal. Eddie, go to the dentist. P1 Josh. Hey, what's up, Mikey? It's P1 Josh. Sleep dentistry. Yeah, sleep dentistry, dude. That's what I did when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. The dentist takes a nap. and then does your teeth while he's sleeping. Pretty much. P1 Josh? Hey, what's up, Mikey? Not too much, dude. Hey, my friend's dad used to keep his toothbrush in the windowsill in the kitchen. We were just sitting on the porch one day and saw his cat used to come up on the windowsill and scratch his butt right on the bristles. Oh, that is so awful. So awful. No! We decided not to tell him for a couple weeks about it. We thought it was pretty funny. Oh, that's messed up. It is. It is funny, but it's awful. Yeah, we had to get our cats their own toothbrushes because of... Their own toothbrushes? What are you talking about? Sky. Yeah. Well, because I noticed that they like to rub their gums on the toothbrushes. What are you talking about? And so, you know, luckily we switched over and got the Sonic Care, so it has like a little plastic... No, you did not.
thing that you put on the top of it that covers the bristles so even if they do try and rub on it like it won't get in there but so when you go to the dentist they give you a free toothbrush every time so i'm like oh the cats love it so much so i bring those home to them and i brush their teeth with them what up get in there they love it that's your girl dude that is your girl try it on your cat at home they'll love it be too rough eddie turns 22 years old today hasn't been to the dentist in seven Yeah, since he was 14. You look good, Eddie. Really good math skills on my part. Carrie Underwood just said that she broke up with her boyfriend via text message. Ouch. Oh! That's crazy! I bet a bunch of people do that. Probably break up that way. You know, it's less painful because you don't have to hear the voice, you know what I mean? That's the way I told my wife I loved her the first time.
Oh, stop judging me with your eyes. Stop it. I'm not going to look at you. Sky. I'm not going to look. But I see you. I know, but I'm looking at her. And your soul. All right. Oh, you don't even know what stupid is. The Mikey Show is on. It's about to get old. I'm Jason Mosley and I approve this message. 30-day warranties. 48-hour warranties? No warranty. Police say they ambushed a former friend and taped the 30-minute beating, reportedly with the intention of putting it on the Internet. Officials say it all allegedly started with the posting of the victim made online about her former friends. Well, early on today...
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and Christina Garcia, the mother of one of the teen suspects, reacted. It's absolutely an animalistic attack. It's a packed mentality. When you see what those very young girls were doing to that 16-year-old victim, it's atrocious. When it was all said and done, she had two black eyes, she lost hearing in her left ear, a sight in her left eye, and she had a concussion. My daughter should have picked up the phone and called the police. She couldn't, ma'am. She was being attacked by a bunch of... Please. She warned this girl not to go in the house. She warned this girl not to go in the house. She's talking about her own daughter that got beaten, right? That doesn't sound right. I believe that my daughter should have called the police. I do believe that. The eight arrested teens face charges of battery and false imprisonment. The sheriff says he's recommending that they all be prosecuted as adults. Oh, sure. Oh, man, that's terrible. Here's some of the text messages. Oh, by the way, it's 9-06. Rob Lowe says that his former babysitter is trying to extort $1.5 million from him. Charges give Clinton Hart a five-year extension. So here's some of the text messages that we're getting about this toothbrush stuff.
Mikey, I'm not proud of this, but on more than one occasion, I have had two different girls use my toothbrush in one week. Signed, P1 Morgan. Sean, what's your record? Oh, that is awful. That's so hideous. Now, Sean, would you let your wife use your toothbrush? I would let her, yeah, I would let her use it, but then I wouldn't use it myself. I wouldn't, yeah. I mean, I would never do that. I love my wife. I love my wife. Would not let her use my toothbrush. Yeah, that's like gross. It's so private, your toothbrush. It's not gross. I don't know where we draw the line with the spouses. I got it. My husband will have romance with me, but he will not share a soda with me. Like, I don't understand. Let me explain. Sharing a soda to me is odd that he will not do that with you, but I'll explain why. Having a soda. Now, what are you talking? I can?
It doesn't matter. Like out of a glass? He won't drink out of the glass? He doesn't like to share beverages with me. That's more, that doesn't, that's not a sanitary. But he'll lick the chocolate off your almonds? That's not what it's about. It's about sharing. He doesn't want to share his drink, I think. No. You're saying it's a sanitation thing. According to him, yeah. It's about germs. Okay, well, let me tell you. But we can share food and we can share almonds. And we can share romance. Skye, would you share your toothbrush with your husband? Yes. You would let him brush his teeth and then brush it? Your teeth. Dude. Without even thinking about it. I have with my boyfriend. Oh, that's hideous. He wasn't okay. He wasn't necessarily okay with it, though. Oh, yeah. I didn't care. I would have had you arrested. But, I mean, if we're willing to be intimate with our partner. I'm not scraping little bits of bacteria off your teeth when I'm kissing you. That's the deal. Yes, you are. I am? Yes, you are. You're a very aggressive kisser. That's true. See, that's the thing when you're brushing your teeth. It has. I wanted to ignore it because it was so uncomfortable. Well, now he's winking at her privately and she's winking back. That's weird. Anything wrong with sharing your toothbrush with your spouse? The toothbrush is used to clean out bad stuff.
The plaque that's in between your teeth. Just put it under hot water for 30 seconds. Stop saying that. Skye, when you kiss your spouse, you're not getting to his plaque. She's pretty aggressive. Eddie would know. Both of you. Oh my goodness. That's not funny. Mikey, it's totally true. When you flush your toilet, particles are scattered throughout the bathroom. Closing the toilet lid before flushing is one of the best ways to reduce it. There's a Mythbusters episode on the topic. The toothbrush is one of the filthiest things in your home. Interesting. Mikey, I raise my cup to Eddie to make a toast. Is this from Sky? Congratulations, Eddie. Happy birthday. I only hope Skye will remember to make you a toast before the show is over. Did Skye make a toast at your birthday party at the Hard Rock Hotel Friday night? Unfortunately, she did not. Actually, I thought about it, but then remembered that last year I was asked to please not make toast at celebrations for either Mike or Eddie, so I respected that.
But I wanted to make a toast, but you had specifically asked me not to. I would have given anything for you to make a toast. You specifically asked me not to last year. You hurt me. Both you and Mike said no. No, Skye, we do not appreciate the toast. I want a toast. So I respected that. Mikey, it sounds to me that she put the toothbrush out there on purpose so that he would see it and would be disgusted and want to break up with her. It's a quick and easy way to end a relationship going nowhere. Signed, P1 Kevin. Kevin, what a strange thought. Right? I mean, in order for her to have done it on purpose, it means that she would have to have said messed up toothbrush. Yeah. And she would have to know that he would notice it and that she'd have to know that that would offend him. Right. There's a lot of thinking going on there. Yeah. That's weird. Let's see. Mikey. My boss keeps his brush in the center console of the construction truck. No way. He has done this for probably six years. How's that bad? Eddie, stop it. He rinses with beer. Okay. Oh, that's great. That's a man's man. That's right. I don't think anybody brushes their teeth more than Chris Boyer. Really? In this building. He works on the Dave Shilling Chainsaw Show. And you will see him walking the hallways with a toothbrush in his mouth almost every time he's in the hallway.
That's true. He has a toothbrush in his mouth. He's been brushing his teeth. That's crazy! He brushes all the time. I don't know why. I don't know what it's about, but the guy loves to brush his teeth. Yeah, there's the work time, the brushers. The work time brushers? The people who bring their toothbrush so they can brush. My wife has a toothbrush at work. Does she really? She brushes after every meal. Really? Has she done that since childhood? I guess. I don't know. Wow, she's a better woman than I am. Well, that is true. Otherwise, you guys would be married by now. Yeah, right. Because you're clearly in love. I'll tell you that right now. She's not quite as aggressive as Sky is. She doesn't kiss as hard as Sky. She doesn't grind your mouth. Sky has new releases that are coming out today. And Eddie says to take a break. Eddie, do we really have to take a break? Yeah. We're going to do new releases. When we come back, we'll do new releases. Yeah. Yeah. POD is coming in the studio tomorrow. What up? Yeah. So between now and the end of the show, we're going to give away three more pairs of tickets to come watch. Yeah. And we haven't even done P1 trivia yet. Yeah. So that somebody can come hang out in the studio on Friday. Yeah. Yeah. This is a good song. It's a good album. Yeah.

We can't just buy the whole little program like we did with the run-up at the first... Oh, please stand back while my head detonates. This is your guy. Is that my guy? He goes right to you. He asks you the questions. He's handing you an exclusive... It's propaganda. And we don't have to broadcast everything that the government wants us to, do we? No, we broadcast news. I just fell asleep, for goodness sake. That sounds terrible. You learn a lot. That's right, you learn a lot.
Is that it? That's for movies. We have TV shows to DVD today. We have Hell's Kitchen, Season 1. You're a donkey! Cosby Show, Season 7 and Season 8. And Shawnee O'Boy, Matlock, the first season on DVD today. Woo! Enjoy. Listen to Gordon Ramsay talking about him and cursing. Cut 31. I don't like cursing, and that may sound slightly bizarre, but trust me, it's not my fault entirely. The industry language and any chef would admit to swear. It's something I'm not proud of by my mother. There it is. Okay. Chef Gordon Ramsay. P1 Ryan. Hey, how's it going? What's up, man? Nada, man. Hey, I got to ask you one question. I, you know, take your opinions. You know, they're really good and everything on everything, you know, you recommend. But hey, that one movie, The Will Be Blood, I can't stand it, man. That's the only movie I've ever walked out on. Come on. Dude, it didn't deliver. I can only say one word for that movie. Impotence. It was nominated for Best Picture, bro. Well, it was nominated for Best Picture. It was nominated for Best Actor. It was Best Director. Cinematography. Cinematography. Everything. The storyline was good. You know, I'll give it that. The actor, yeah, he was great. And what, that one, Gangs of New York? Yeah, no problem. But this movie totally just went AWOL. Well, you said that...
The storyline was great. You'll give it that, which I agree. The storyline was great. And then Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor in the movie for his role. I thought it was seriously going to be like a cowboy movie, you know, some, you know, gunslinging movie. Yeah. It was like there wasn't even blood in it. Oh, dude. Well, if you, yeah. Yeah, man. I thought it was about a couple gay cowboys. I thought it was supposed to be like Brokeback 2 or something. What's up, man? Yeah, dude, it's not a Western, okay? When we come back, P1 trivia. Pete, why don't you just put on some clothes and we can sit down and discuss. No, I'm not going to go put clothes on. Because if I put clothes on, it's over. We're leading different lives. It's like you're standing on the dock and I'm in the lake. Sarah, I swear to God, I'll jump in the lake like a merman. Do you want... I want to put some clothes on. Would you like to pick out the outfit that you break up with me in? From Universal Pictures. I'd like to grab some dinner. Is your girlfriend joining you? No. You just by yourself? Yeah. The official wireless company of KIOZ Radio hit it. They are the best. And one of the things that they pride themselves on is customer service, meaning that when you go in there, they treat you really good. You know, they're not like all the other places where they...
you know, give you the run around and they make you hold and they don't treat very nice at cricket. They do. Yeah. It's very important to them. And that's why with cricket wireless, there's never a contract for you to get service from them. They're not going to tie you down because they know, you know what, we're going to treat you so good. A lot of times I like to go the other. Eddie. I may suffer from delusions of gratitude. It's Eddie's birthday. Yeah, it is. I do. I enjoyed it in the during this day. Rob felt it was one of your favorites. Taking you back, brother. To what, Rob? Times. Yeah. Welcome back. It's 938. The Stone Temple Pilots have announced that they're getting back together and doing a 65-day tour. Man, the Giants are terrible. The Padres rolled right. They've only won one game this year. You don't have to rub it in. They're bad, and the Padres beat them 8-4 yesterday. Ash has a cool look today. She's got on the big round earrings and the curly hair today. She doesn't usually have the curly hair. She has straight hair a lot. This is a different look for me. She's got a different thing going on.
Welcome back to the show. We are going to do a little something that I like to call P1 Trivia. P1 Trivia is fantastic. The way that we play P1 Trivia is a lot like we play the Dumb Chick Challenge. Basically what we do is we have a couple of people on the line playing against each other and The first person that gets to five points is the winner. You get one, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy, threes are hard, and you have to accumulate points. First person to five wins. You can do it easy. You can do it with two questions, a three-pointer and a two-pointer. Or you can be like Sky, go two, two, one. It's like a strategy, Eddie. Or if you don't have much confidence in your opponent, you can take five one-pointers in a row. That's true. Play it safe and do it that way.
On the line right now is somebody that, well, I feel pretty bad for. It's P1 Giants fan. How are you, Giants fan? I'm doing all right. Could be better being a Giants fan. Definitely. Oh, you're a San Francisco Giants fan? Yes, I am. Bro. I thought New York Giants, but I'll tell you, it'd be better to be that, right? Early in the season. You've only won one game. It's okay. You don't have Barry Bonds. Hey, leave us alone. We're doing our best, okay? We're rebuilding. All right, so let's see. P1 Giants fan, how old are you? 27. 27. How long have you been listening? I've been listening about a year and a half now. A year and a half. How come you feel bad for him? Well, because he's a Giants fan. You know what I mean? It's got to suck to be him right now. Okay, let's just not. That's pretty bad. Please. The person you're going to be playing against is somebody who I'm sure doesn't know very much about the show. A guy I like to call T-Rex. Oh, come on. P1 T-Rex is on the line. T-Rex, how are you? T-Rex, are you there? T-Rex. Oh, no. Uh-oh. What happened to T-Rex? T-Rex. Are you kidding? Maybe he lost his connection. Maybe he's choking. No, no, no. He probably lost his connection.
He's mad. Well, you know, it's interesting. I want to get T-Rex in line because there's a couple things I don't know. I don't know how old T-Rex is. Never asked him. The other thing I don't know about T-Rex is why is he T-Rex? Don't know. Don't know why he calls himself that. Is T-Rex married? Does he have children? We don't know a lot about T-Rex. He's like the great white shark. There's not much known about, you know, he's not been studied. So we don't know much about T-Rex. Well, we can't keep T-Rex in captivity. That is correct. They've tried. They can't keep a T-Rex alive in captivity. There he is now. So, yeah, I have lots of questions for P1 T-Rex. Now, if we can't get him back on, just get anybody, Rob, because we've got to get this thing going. And we got a whole brand new crop of questions. Well, I was listening to the podcast of the P1s. The P1s, some of the P1 Hall of Famers get together. They do a podcast where they do their version of the Mikey show. Every once in a while, they take a listen to it. It's pretty fun to listen to. And one of the things that they were talking about is how infuriated they get at how easy the questions are, yet nobody can get them. And so we've gone to work. We've come up with some new questions, and we do have some new questions. T-Rex is on the line. T-Rex, how are you?
Hey, man. There he is. Turn him off. He can't hear us or something. Rob, talk to him. Are you sure that's T-Rex? Really? He's freaking out. He can't hear us. I'm looking at all the buttons and they're all set right. It's probably his phone. Well, if we have to, Rob, we've got to get somebody else. But Try to get him on for later because I want to ask him all those questions. Mikey, who's this? Hello? Can you hear me? Hello? Oh, man. What is going on? I don't know. But this person can't hear me. How come a Giants fan could hear? I don't know. I'm answering from the other bank of phone lines, but I have to. Is everything punched in? I don't know, man. Our phones. Oh, this is so frustrating. Do you know that we work in what is known as a major market? Come on, that's a joke. That is a true statement. No, it isn't. Did you do something, Seth? Mikey Show, can you hear me? Hello. Hello, Mikey Show. Hello. What up, Mikey? Hey, can you hear me? Yes, I can. You can hear me. Yes, I can. Okay. Philly Finest.
Uh, we're going to give you an alternate prize, okay, because we got... Hey, Giants fan, can't hear anymore. All right. Giants fan, are you there? I'm here now, yes. Can you hear me? I can hear you now, yeah. Okay, Giants fan's there, and the other guy's there. But can they both hear you at the same time? Philly's Finest, can you hear me? Yes, I can, Mike. Okay, I'm going to put you on hold and give you an alternate prize, okay? All righty. Hang on the line. T-Rex, can you hear me? I can hear you now. Can you hear me? Yeah. There it is. That was crazy. That was really weird, man. I went blank as soon as it cleared to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For some reason. Yeah. All right, T-Rex, let's find out some stuff about you. How old are you? I am 43 years old. 43. How long have you been listening to The Mikey Show? For about three years. And how did you find out about The Mikey Show? How did you come across The Mikey Show? I used to listen to The Howard Stern Show in the mornings. And when that one went off the air...
kind of bummed, but I actually started clicking around on the radio and then I heard you guys. There you go. And then I actually used to listen to you during the evenings when you used to do an evening DJ. Right. There you go. So T-Rex is, he's a fan through and through. Yes. What about, Eddie was saying, and it's a good question, are you married? Do you have kids? Yes, I am. If you guys don't remember. Oh, I met your, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. That's right. And T-Rex, what do you do? And T-Rex, how did you come up with the name P1 T-Rex? Well, you guys pretty make fun of an area that I live in. Mira Mesa, yes. That's right. T-Rex is the only black guy in a very Asian community. There you go. All right, T-Rex, this is probably not going to be fair to P1's Giants fan, but Giants fan, sorry, T-Rex is your opponent. I'll give it a shot. He's really good. He's really good. He's real good. He's real good. It's like taking on Oscar De La Hoya, dude. Okay. We're going to let Giants fans start first just to try to keep it fair, T-Rex.
You got it. Giants fan, what do you want? A one, two, or three-point question? I guess since I'm going up against T-Rex, I better go fast. I'll go with the three-pointer. You got it. Your question is, what is the name of the video game Eddie has been playing lately? In fact, he finished the entire game. Oh, I'm going to say... Are you still playing Assassin's Creed? That is correct. Nice job. I didn't even know that. Well done. Eddie finished... The entire game of Assassin's Creed. He got to the very end of the game. Yep. All right, T-Rex, looks like you're up against some pretty stiff competition. Yeah, it looks like it. I guess I have to go for a 3-2. You got it. Who on the show used to work for her mother-in-law at a restaurant? Listen to how it's worded. Oh, my gosh, guys. That is correct. Oh, wow.
It was actually easy if you thought about it because there's only one girl on the show who has a mother-in-law. Yeah. I didn't even think of that. That is correct. Okay. It's all tied. Three and three. Giants fan. I'll go for a two-pointer. You're going to try to end it with a two? Oh, my. Yep. Crazy. Giants fan, your two-point question is, what is the name of the game that plays music? From Mikey's iPod. Oh, it's... M-Pod? That is incorrect. What did he say? He said M-Pod. Oh. That is incorrect. The answer is Mikey's Gay Pod. Why do they call it that? I forget. Yeah, that is a weird name. Well, it's because of all the masculine music that I have on my iPad. But then why would it be called... Well, you know, it's so masculine that you guys want it to... Oh, it's like when you call a really tall guy shorty. Exactly, exactly, Scott. You got it. You've got it. T-Rex. Yes? You can do it right here. Okay, I'd go for a two. Your two-point question is...
What gym does Eddie endorse? You got it. Say it. Frog fitness. That's it. Money. Thank you, guys. T-Rex is victorious. I'm sorry, Giants fan. You're going to have to try again next time, man. All right. All right, dude. T-Rex. Yes. You are coming in here for POD. And you are going to be a guest in the studio on Friday. Wow. Oh, awesome. Backstage pass, the whole deal. Hang on, okay? Hang on a line. There you go. I don't think T-Rex has ever been our guest in the studio. Not for an extended period of time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's cool. That's going to be very cool. Okay. Do we have a little bit of time? A couple minutes. Okay. I can give you guys another question to debate. Oh, no. Because I'm kind of liking doing it. Oh, it's fun.
Name the best TV theme song of all time. Holy cow. We're going to be here all morning. Whoa. Think about it. I know what Rob will say. Ashley is so deep in thought right now. Now, can it be a commercial or does it have to be television? A commercial? A commercial? What's your name? You're yelling at me. I'm just a commercial. Why is everyone yelling? Oh, it's infuriating. Okay, hold on. I think I have a definitive answer. Now, wait a second, Eddie. Wait a second. I think I do. Hang on here. I did not ask you, what is your favorite television theme song? I understand the question. I said, what is the best TV theme song of all time? The Dukes of Hazzard. Why are you laughing? Let me see if we have that in our system.
Dude, Waylon Jennings, you can't get better than that. Was it really Waylon Jennings? Yeah, dude. Really? Heck yeah. I bet we have it then. Oh, it's in there. Good old boy. That's all we have. That's it. That's good enough. That's what the clip is. That's all we needed. Here we go. Thank you very much. That was wonderful. That's right. That's all you need, a little taste. A little taste. It's an original. I mean, it's good. Come on. Beat this. Beat this. I implore you. Oh, I don't know about that. Hey, listen. Maybe the Dukes of Hazard themselves did not mean any harm, Eddie. Yeah, the Duke boys were good old boys. The Duke boys never meant any harm. All I'm telling you is that when I hear this music, I'm thinking to myself, there was a lot of racism in Dukes County, Eddie, and you can't deny it. Not by the Duke boys. Not the Duke boys. Not by the Duke boys. Maybe Boss Hog, yeah.
You never know what Boss Hogg was up to, bro. He was clearly a racist. Absolutely. Roscoe P. Coltrane. Let's talk a little bit more. All you have to do is hear that theme song. You know that there was some rascally stuff going on. That's true. In that county. Moonshine. In that county, there was some bad things going on. I would not have been welcome in Duke, or Hazard County. Hazard. Hazard County. Y'all hear some kid named Esparza just moved in? Oh. Oh. Get a rope. Yeah, what's he doing? I mean, is he doing some garden work or what's the deal? The Duke boys, they were good though. The best television theme song of all time. I think I might be able to beat it. You can't beat it. I got a good one too. I got one. Zeth, you spoke up first. What do you got? Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Oh. Disagree. That's a good one.
You're childish. I think it's childish. I think that's pretty good. Thank you. That is a good one. Childish. Ashley, what do you got? The Friends theme. Oh, that's pretty good. Nah, it's pretty good. How much does that get in your head whenever you hear that song? I hate it. You know the words and you think of the show. What's it called? Why is she doing that? It's done by Rembrandt. Is she okay? She's not okay. Stop it. The original. It has nothing to do with your vocals. I think I have my choice. What is it? Oh, great. Theme from Greatest American Hero. Great. I'm instantly in a good mood. How could you not be? Right, right. I can hardly believe in myself. I can't believe in myself. Where are you? That's a pretty good one, man. That's huge. Sky, what do you got? Now I like yours better. Mine was going to be WKRP in Cincinnati. Oh, that's good. Good one.
But now I like it. What about What's-His-Face? David singing the Ada is Enough theme. Oh, that was great. It was awesome. What do you mean, Yunk? You don't even know what it is. I don't care. Dude, no. It would make you cry, Scott. It would make you cry. Yeah, go get the CD. Somebody's got to go grab the CD. Let's take a break. We're going to do this. We'll take a break. Let's listen to one of Eddie's songs that he likes. Oh, yes. Today's Eddie's birthday. When we come back, we'll play a bunch of these. And call us and text us. 570-1053 and text us. 3-5-2-5-3. What's the best TV-themed song of all time? Think about it. We'll be right back. Gentlemen, let's drive. Nah, I'm gonna go with Rob, dude. Yeah, me too. I call shotgun. Ouch, denied. Rob parked three blocks away. I'm right here. But you're driving that Honda CR whatever. And Rob just bought a Nissan Rogue. Yeah, and the ladies love the Rogue. Hey, this Honda is a perfectly good car. Yeah, for my... Dude, right here. Rogue is that cool?
Rogue's a chick magnet. And it's got all the coolest gadgets like a jack for my MP3 player. Well, I'll see you guys down there. Mikey Show. Who's this? I'm Juanito, man. I just want to tell you. That AIS saved me a buttload of money, man. How much did they save you? $300. $300 a month? Yeah. Holy cow. I was paying like full coverage. I went up in coverage. That's awesome. I was amazed. Yeah, I called in last November for a quote, and they had quoted me like about $100 cheaper than Geico. And I went in, yes, and they said, you know what, let us check. We can get anything lower, a lot cheaper. Up in coverage, man. I was just so stoked. This is a real person.

Oh, he's so cute. That kid is cute. So cute, man. Oh my goodness. Number three, Bosom Buddies. Oh, dude. Bosom Buddies is pretty huge. It's hard because that was an actual song. Yeah. I don't know. We may need two categories for like originals and... Yeah, because that was a Billy Joel song. Yeah. Great. Number two, Gilligan's Island. And the number one he says on his list would be Married with Children. But that's Frank Sinatra. It's Frank Sinatra. Where's Love Boat? Exactly. Gotta be out there. Mikey, what about The Wonder Years? Signed P1 Jackie. What the heck was that? I don't even remember it. What the heck you mean? Oh, yeah. Wonder Years. Yeah, it was good. Oh, that was an original song too. Yeah.
What would you do if I... Oh, yeah, Joe Cocker. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Married with Children. There's another one from Ron Mexico. It says Married with Children. You guys, you're missing the biggest one of all time. Silver Spoons, I agree. No. What happened? They say M.A.S.H. M.A.S.H. was a good one, man. Dude, I would hear the opening note of that and I'd turn the TV off. I still do that. I do, too. I've never seen an episode of that. Mikey, what about the Airwolf theme song? Don't know what that... Don't know what it is. Don't even know what it is. Absolutely. What about Sanford and Son? That's fantastic. That's good. Yes. I prefer words, though. And since Sky does not know it, the Eight is Enough theme song makes me think of eating homemade fried rice at my brother's house in Tucson when I was 12 years old. Wow. Eight is enough. What else you got? Uh,
Well, let's take some of these calls and see if we have any of these. Let's take P1 Quimby. Hey, Quimby. Quimby. P1 Quimby. Hello. Quimby, what was your favorite TV theme song? Big Brother. I cannot. I'm so done with that show. No, you're not. You're lying. You're a liar face. You're a liar face. Nice try. Boring. You're not done with it. That's crazy. Okay. James POV. Yeah, seriously. Look into it. He didn't win. Okay, thanks for ruining it for everybody that doesn't have to win. Wow. Wow. Happy birthday, Eddie. Thank you. Okay, I can't believe you guys didn't mention this, but the A-team? Oh, the A-team is good. That's a great... ...was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. They're talking. This show sounds good. If no one else can help, and if you can find them. That's what this is about? The A-Team. Here it is. Can I get it on DVD? That sounds like a good show. That's a great show. Oh, yeah. Good call, Quimby. I just got goosebumps. Enjoy your pineapple, Eddie. Thanks. We're missing a real good one. What's up? Too close for cover. We're missing a real good one. Prepare to get freaked out a little bit. Yeah.
You remember that was like a creepy episode. I totally remember that one. Scariest episode ever. Do you guys remember the time I fought the devil? Yes, Tattoo, yes. Talk about it. Well, it was because I ended up sitting myself in the head and buried in a shoebox. Tattoo, it was called alcoholism. Yes, that is true, boss. That is the devil for you, the bottom. Yeah, and the pills too. Yes, you can watch them. Anyway. What's up? Yes. Let's go to lunch or something. Okay, where do you want to go? Applebee's is my favorite. I like P.F. Chang. Let's flip for it. Okay, I flipped you on the head. Oh, man. I want to get the lettuce wraps, boss. No, I want the Applebee's. Boss, it's not called the Applebee's. I love the Applebee's. Mr. Orkin tattoo, ladies and gentlemen. No votes for Growing Pains, really? Anybody yet. I mean, Ashley, you know you love Growing Pains. I'm all right with that. What about... I can't think of the thing. Oh, this is good. What about that? Yes, I'm a fan. Who isn't? I'm a fan. Angela! Who knows what he was up to in that thing? Dancing with the mom. Mona. She was so horny. Why is she horny all the time? I don't think anything ever happened for her. No, she was constantly dating. Are you kidding me? Look at this. Dude. Look at this guy. What's going on? I'm in shock right now. I lose. Lou Bush just walked in the studio. Oh, my goodness. This is the greatest birthday of my life. Lou Bush just walked in.
Lou, come sit down, Lou. Come sit down. What do you got going on? Look at this guy. That's crazy. Well, she doesn't like anything, Lou. You know how it is. Lou just handed me a styrofoam container. Oh, my. Oh, my. Oh, Lou. It looks like the greatest burger I've ever seen in my life. And is that sweet potato fries? That's fantastic. Lou, it's your boy's birthday today. How about that? How old do you think he is? 27. Thank you. You still got it, dude. He's my partner. Guy's turning 35 years old, Lou. What do you think of that? Wow. What do you think of that? I got to retire. I remember when Eddie was this young buck starting out in the game. We don't need to talk about those days, Lou. Lou, what do you think is the best TV theme song ever? That is funny. I was listening on the way in. The A-Team's classic. Yeah, A-Team's pretty good. Sanford song. It was just a song, though. I mean, not a song, but a... Instrumental.
That was good, though. That's tough. That's tough. I know. I used to watch Family Ties. Oh, that's good. That was good. Family Ties is good. You know, I watched Date Is Enough growing up a little bit, too, coming up, and that song's creepy. What do you mean? It's just, like, real. Dude. It's just, like, real. It's a grower. That fills your life with love. Heard that. Let's see. I'm looking on here. Oh, dude. We missed the best one ever. How about this? Yeah, that's classic too. Moonlighting. That was good. Eddie, we actually have it. Get out of here. I don't want to hear it. I don't even know what it is. It's the theme to Ally McBeal. Wow. So good. So memorable. You ever watch Quincy? Let me tell you. Of course.
It's one of Sean's favorite shows ever. Dude, that was like the first. That was like, yeah. Columbo slash, you know, SI, you know. This is going to give away people's age. Who remembers this? Yes. Taxi. That's right. Taxi. Great. Little, little. My daddy's lost that. That was good, right? That's like Barney, what? Barney Miller. Barney Miller. Barney Miller. That was good. Yeah. How about this one, Lou? Tell me what show this is. What's happening? Tell me what this is. I love what's happening. 9-11. Uh, Hill Street Blues. You are correct. Thank you. Wow. That's right, you got it. Dude, I hammer these stuff. Alright, here we go. Tell me what this is. Rerun's all out of breath. Yeah, wow. I'm about to pass out. Dude, rerun. I want you to just picture what he used to dress like. Wow. That's what I'm saying. That's right. That's probably where they got the inspiration from with the clown. Suspenders, big pants. Let me try one of Lou's sweet potato fries. Oh, already with a crunch? Mmm.
Sounds good. Dude, that is good. Oh, Lou, that is good. I love him, dude. Just love you, man. Where can I get this wonderful meal? Oh, yeah. We are up and running now. Holy operational. 888 South Euclid Avenue. What's the name of that place? It's called Duke Joint Southern Kitchen. Dude, that is so cool. Really cool. You know, bluesy, down-home things. How's the business so far? You know what? It's cool. It's hard to find good people. I had a little washout, but hey. The balance is back. The force is with us. Lou, that is a good burger. Thank you. Can I get okra there? Yes, you can. Oh, I love her show. There's some hush puppies over there. Really? Oh, I love hush puppies. Yes, sir. Lou, that's good stuff. You won't get Skye trying a sweet potato fry, but I like it. Why? You would actually like those. They're sweet. They're delicious. I know why I say that every time I come here. You'd be like, they're good for you, too. You didn't try a sweet potato fry? Why is everyone yelling at me? Skye, come on. Try a sweet potato fry. No, Skye, you know what I always neglect? How have you been doing? Oh, I'm fine. Thank you. How are you? That's good. My wife says hello. Oh, good. And she wanted me to tell you thank you. You guys sent her some customers that she really appreciated. Oh, good. Yeah, I've been telling people about that. Skye, thank you. Eddie just shoved a sweet potato fry in her mouth. Right when she was talking, you put a sweet potato fry in her mouth. That tastes good. It's Eddie's birthday. It's Eddie's birthday. He put that in your mouth as violently as you kissed him. There you go. I changed it up all for you. Mike, he shoved that.
Here are some of the texts that we're getting. Mr. Belvedere, the Simpsons, Adam's family. Twilight Zone, Cosby Show, Cops, and Good Times. Good Times. Good Times. Bobby McFerrin doing that Cosby Show thing. Remember that? Mr. Belvedere. Can we go back to Quincy? No, we can't. We don't have to. I think, honestly, I've seen every episode of Quincy. It was like my favorite show. You are now Sean's favorite. A Quincy off. So, what else did you bring? Lou, I want to talk about some of the other stuff because that was good, dude. Got some hush puppies, some chicken tenders, just some light stuff. Awesome! I always bring you guys ribs, man. I want to just change it up a little bit. So what is the food? Straight up barbecue or what is it? It's barbecue, of course, our classic. It's southern cuisine. We do hush puppies, fried okra, sweet potato french fries, regular fries.
Didn't you say you do like smothered pork chops? Yeah, we do. You know, we run specials daily, so I run like smothered pork chops, smothered chicken. I don't know if you guys ever had that. You got to tell, you know what? I bring you some out on Friday because you got to try that. You got to tell LT that because when LT was in the studio, we asked him, what's your favorite food when you go home and your mom makes you something? He said, it doesn't matter. As long as it's smothered, he likes it. That's what he said. He said gravy. I think it's the gravy, the rice, and whatever meat it is because it's going to get tender anyway. Yeah. Now, do you do breakfast or just let you do it? You know what? Speaking of breakfast, no, it's just lunch and dinner, but we do have another location open the 25th in Spring Valley called California Comfort. We'll be doing breakfast. I'm trying to take over the world and I'm leaving. This place is going to be called California Comfort. It's off Bancroft. and 9419 Bancroft, and we'll be doing Southern breakfast. We'll be doing omelets, California-style stuff. It'll be fun. It's a bar as well because there's nothing really out in that area. We have flat screens up everywhere. It's a really, really nice place. I was telling somebody about your food last weekend, and we were talking about the best food I've ever had. And I said, I can't remember how we got on the topic. I said,
Lou Bush's barbecue is like in a different category. You have to put it like in a different category. It really is. And then the best barbecue you've ever had after Lou Bush. Because Lou makes, it's so crazy good. I can't even think of second place, like the second best I've ever had. It's like Lou's and then there's everybody else. I love you. I think that's the truth. I think that was my brother. I was talking to my brother about it. But it's off the Richter scale. Our mission is to just teach people what it really is. I mean, I'm honestly back east, I'm sure. Back in the South, everywhere you go, you got to be kind of good because there's so many. It's like out here, it's like Roberto's, you know, like the taco shops. Back home, every little corner spot, you get good food. So it's kind of like, I want to really kind of educate. Where did you grow up? What city? I'm a military brat, but I'm originally from Georgia. And honestly, my mom and my grandmother, every time we get together and family stuff, it was just the best food. I'm like, man. Why can't I always get this? Do you have a city in Georgia that you grew up in, that you were at the longest? Decatur. Decatur. Decatur. When I was born, yeah. Decatur, Georgia. Yep. So if you go back to Decatur, Georgia, do you have a place that you really like to go to? I will tell you two places right now. The Beautiful is one, and it's like a cafeteria. And you go in, and they have daily specials. It's the most ridiculous food you ever have in your life. In Decatur. In Decatur. Oh, I want to have that so bad. Remember in Dallas, there was a place like that? It was like a cafeteria.
And we thought it was like the weirdest place, but the food was awesome. Yeah, they do a lot of stuff like that back home. You were drunk. Don't worry. Then there's Abdullah's. Actually, it's Abdullah the Butcher. He used to be a wrestler. Dude, get out of here. I kid you not. That's gross. Really? Yeah, wrestling pictures. As a matter of fact, it's right across the street. That's right. It's right across the street from The Beautiful. And it's good stuff. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He actually sells Earl. This is so funny. He sells Earl Campbell sausages there, but he smokes them. It's ridiculous. We got great sausage. Oh, I'd be so in. I'm going to bring you some oxtails Friday. Okay. I've wanted to forever. A smoked oxtail is so... Keenan McArdle told us about it. He said it's his favorite thing. He said there was a place that he used to go when he was here in San Diego. It was like his favorite place. And I've actually heard, in fact, Gordon Ramsay... He said that oxtail is like one of the best things to do because it's low in price, but you can make it taste really good. Really, really good. It's like one of those things you can cook a long time with the meat. It's just like roast. I'm sure Sky will try it, right, Sky? Yeah, I'm sure she will. It's the actual tail of an ox. You'll love it, Sky. It's delicious. We butcher them ourselves, too. They come in these big hole pieces. Oh, I'm in. We cut them up. Let me tell you, I'm in. I'm in. I'm in. 100%. There you go. The fry was okay, though, wasn't it?
Yeah, no, the farm's good. Because they're really concerned me that she didn't like it. Skye. What? You know Lori, my wife's friend Lori? Yes. She went to Lou's wife's place and they thought she was you. They go, are you Skye? And she was like, no, but I know her. Aww. Yeah. Another curly haired girl. Another curly haired girl. Yeah. 5701053. How many pair do we have left for POD? Two pair. Oh, man. 5701053. Call us right now. If you're available to come into the studio tomorrow and see POD, we'll set you up. 570-1053. You get to come in, watch POD perform live in the studio. And you're also going to get to have breakfast because we're going to serve you breakfast. Breakfast. Yeah, breakfast. Right, Rob? How's it going, Mikey? How you doing, man? What's your name? My name is P1 No Shirt. P1 No Shirt. That scares me immediately. Immediately I'm worried about you. I think we know P1 No Shirt. Do we? Yeah, from a signing. From coming out to our signings with No Shirt on. Eddie just mouthed to me, dude, he's crazy. I did not. No shirt, I didn't. You're awesome. How old are you, No Shirt? I'm 25. You gotta answer a question. Okay. You gotta answer a trivia question. Where's my P1? Oh, I got it.
If you can answer this P1 trivia question, you get to come in. Cool. What member of the show claims that they used to work in sports medicine in high school? I would have to say Eddie. That is incorrect. It's Ashley. Thank goodness. Sorry about that. I wanted him to get it right. Actually, Ashley was in the sports medicine. Listen, I wanted him to get it. I wanted him to get it. Mikey show. Who's this? P1 what? P1 Stelios. Stelios, what is four plus four? That's a trivia question. It has nothing to do with our show. I'll give you a trivia question. If you can answer it, you get to come in. Are you ready? Who on the show watches TV standing up? That is correct. Oh, there it is. That's a three-point question, by the way. Wow. All right, Stelios. Hang on. You're one of our winners. That's a hard question. That was hard. I didn't expect him to get it. Standing up. Yeah, he paces the coffee table. I don't like to sit. Who is this? This is P1 Swimmer. P1 Swimmer? Yeah. What do you do for a living? I am trying to become a Coast Guard rescue diver. And how old are you? I am 19. I'm in Palmar College at the moment. What is Eddie's sports nickname? I can't even remember right now. What do we call him? Easy. Easy. That is correct. That is correct. The Oracle. You're coming in. Why is that so funny to Lou? Awesome.
I don't know, Lou just began laughing hysterically. Oh, did he cuss? Did he cuss? No, heck yes. Oh, you said heck yes. Okay, cool. Who are you going to bring? I'm going to bring my girlfriend. You're bringing your girlfriend? Yeah, baby. All right, hang on the line. We're all set. We now have our guest list is set for POD tomorrow. This is going to be a good one. Lou, let me ask you a question, Lou. Def. Let me ask you a question. Yes, brother. You are faced with being in the water with an alligator. In other words, you're in a river. It's green, murky river water. You go underwater and suddenly there is a plume of mud. You see the foot of an alligator and then it spins around. You see the head of the alligator splashing in the water. So either that happens or you're on a boat like a life raft in the middle of the ocean.
It's so hot you decide you got to jump into it and it's calm water. No land in sight. Completely calm. You jump into the ocean water. And as you look underneath the ocean water, you see a 15-foot great white underneath you. And as you jump into the water, the vibration of the water being shaken gets the great white's attention. And now it knows you're in the water. You have to be in there with one of them. Which do you choose? I'm taking the shark. At least with the shark, I have a chance to get back in the boat.
And the vibration is one thing. I have not touched the shark. I can get back in the boat. Whereas the alligator is looking me dead in my eye. I'm done, son. You can beat up the alligator. Good luck with that. You could. You see the death roll? Have you seen that yet? You can't. Murky water, you can't see. How are you going to grab? You can't see. You can do it. Okay, you're going to stick your hands out there and the gator is going to just... Are you going to rip it? You've watched too many of those. All right, I haven't asked this question yet. You ready? This is all you can discuss. You've bet $5,000 on a game of rock, paper, and scissors. So, what do you throw? I'm opening with rock. Well, I'm opening with paper then. I would have opened with scissors. I would have opened with scissors anticipating my opponent to anticipate that I'm going to do a rock and he's going paper. I'm anticipating him, his move. Interesting. So, I take scissors. Eddie, what would you... $5,000. What's your first move? I would go with paper. Because I would assume that that person was going to throw a rock. That's good. Skye? Skye is brain sprained on this. She's perspiring. First of all, I'm sweating at just the thought of betting $5,000 on anything. Spending $5,000 on anything. My first thought when you asked before anybody started answering was paper as well. Yeah. About you, Ashley? I would have said rock because I would have anticipated his anticipation on me.
And thus anticipated... There's a lot of anticipation. What the hell? I don't know. And would have threw down the rock. You would have lost. Beat your scissors, Mike. What is the creepiest pet a person can own? Do not say Puggle. Snake. Thank you. Puggle. Not creepy. I'd definitely say Puggle, but after Puggle, I would say the creepiest pet a person could own. Puggles are adorable. Puggles are adorable. Snake. Tarantula. Anything like... Why would you want a snake in your house? Puggles. loose answer as anything. You know what I think a creepy pet is? I've always thought that the people with the pot-bellied pigs are creepy. Yes, they're so smart. They're filthy animals. They're pigs. Pig is a filthy animal. They're not ferrets. Ferrets are filthy looking. They are, and they stink when you have them in the house. Yeah. Well, a pig can't smell real good. Yeah. Well, it depends how you keep them, you know? A dog can't smell that good either, but if you keep them clean...
What, Eddie? Cats. Yes, I agree with you. I can't stand cats. What do you have, Lou? Do you have pets? Yes. What do you have? Dogs. What kind? It's embarrassing. I knew it's a cast. I knew it's a little purse dog. These are for my children. Don't go there. You love them. I have a teacup Yorkie. It's my daughter's dog. It's my daughter's dog. It's my daughter's dog. It's my daughter's dog. You love that dog, man. Jack Russell. I love Jack Russell. She's really smart, too. They're crazy. Let me have it. On your birthday, ask me. Yeah, it's my birthday. $1,000 is riding on a game of horse. Would you rather bet on LeBron James wearing mittens or the starter from the varsity team at your high school? The varsity, baby. Let me think about that. It's LeBron James. It's LeBron James. And it's horse. It's not like this is like 101. This is just horse. This kid could just go shoot threes all day. That's hard with some mittens. It's LeBron though. It's LeBron. I'll take LeBron. It's LeBron James. I might have to go starter. I don't want him though. I want LeBron. Really? The mittens are scaring me.
Are they fingered? Are they like the snow ones with just the thumb? Then you can't do nothing. Mikey, the best TV theme song of all time is Cheers. Signed Rob. Actually, this one was signed Rob. Wow. It's just a picture of Tom Selleck. With no shirt on. That is correct. Quite a stash. Add a turn on. Yes, let's please post that somewhere in the studio. Eddie, what was your dad's favorite show? What did he used to watch? That's a good question. I remember one. My dad watched MASH a lot. I remember him watching MASH. What about Rockford Files? I don't remember. He might have. I remember your family watching Cosby Show. Yeah, we watched the Thursday night. The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, every Thursday. What was the guy that wrote the... Oh, I got one. Houston. Remember that? Matt Houston. Man, you watch some weird shows, Lou. Matt Houston. Oh, you guys. I remember the Fall guy. Yeah, Fall guy. That was a good theme song, too, there. Yeah, it was. Sung by Lee Majors. Lee Majors. Let's see. Heather Thomas. How about the Greatest American Hero? That's what we were talking about. We should play it again. You want us to sing it? We sang it before. I want to hear you sing that. Come on. Patrick Ewing. I only sing with my group.
Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon had the NBA class, the NBA Hall of Fame. Yeah, also making the Hall of Fame, Dick Vitale. And Pat Riley. Pat Riley. I don't know why Dick Vitale, but he's in. The Jaguars just signed David Gerrard to a seven-year, $60 million contract. What do you think about that, Lou? One year as a starter, get that much money? God, it was a backup. You know what, though? I think it was one of those things where they had kind of no choice because they're saving face, to say, because of the flop that was the... Byron Lefkowitz? Byron Lefkowitz. So they're kind of... And now the new face of the franchise, they're just... That's a lot of dough, man. It's business, though. You know how that goes. We'll see. You can't... Didn't they sign Drayton? Yeah, they got de-flow. De-flow, Eddie? What's up? You had to go de-flow on us. We know him. We know him. Yeah, we're tight. We're tight like that. They just did a new study that says that babies and toddlers and shaved head Mexicans with goatees that don't get enough sleep are at risk for obesity. No. No, babies and toddlers, they say if they don't get enough sleep.
They're at risk for obesity. Yeah, and it's quite a bit. They say babies and toddlers who sleep less than 12 hours a day. My mom must have put coffee in my bottle. Are at great risk for being overweight. And they said then even on top of them. Here's another Red Bull, Mikey. That's the truth. And then they said what makes it even worse on top of that is if your baby sleeps less than 12 hours and you let them watch at least two hours of TV a day. That makes it even worse. I disagree. My son doesn't go to sleep until like 1 o'clock at night. What? But how old is he? He's 17. No, he's 17. He's 4, dude. If he takes a nap at school, he will be up until 12, 30, 1 o'clock. Wow. Oh, my gosh. He's just up. I was not going to mention this, but we're getting too many texts and emails saying that the best theme show of all time is Fraggle Rock. And I'm getting a lot of them, so I'm mentioning them. Down to Fraggle Rock. Come on, man. Down to Fraggle Rock. That's why I'm mentioning it. This guy's red. Mikey Show. Hey, this is P1 Ham Leader. Hi, Ham Leader. I'm wondering if I could get some tickets to Zach's comedy show. Zach Galifianakis? Hey, isn't he coming into the studio, Eddie? I think so.
I don't know that we have any. Do we have any tickets? We may have a pair left, but I don't want to just blow them out. I think we have one pair left. I don't want to just give them away for no reason. Don't worry, dude. We'll give away some tomorrow. So listen, but we got to come up with something creative instead of just giving them away. We can't just do it all willy-nilly. Yeah, we can't do it willy-nilly. Yeah, nilly. Thank you. We've gone through everything, man. I've given out the biggest stories. Jay-Z and Beyonce, they think, are really married. No. Is it that serious? Who cares? I mean, but if you're married, why keep it a secret? That's just stupid. That's a good question. That's just stupid. It is. Just say, hey, we're married. Thank you. We love you. Get it over with. What else? Rob Lowe is suing his babysitter because she's trying to extort him, saying that she knows all these secrets about what he and his wife did, and she's going to tell the world, and so he's suing her. STP is reuniting. They're going to do a 65-date tour. I'll see how many dates they actually do. Yeah, exactly. Who's that? Stone Temple Pilots. Pam Anderson.
doing a reality show, but will not put her kids on it for the E! Network. Wow, she's a good mother. Yeah, great. Katherine Heigl says that she was kind of upset when T.R. Knight was not interested in her, but he's gay. Well, when they first met before she knew. She didn't know that he was gay. It really hurt her ego. Hurt her ego, because he wasn't really interested in her. She was trying. Scary Spice and Joey Fat One are going to continue to co-host it. I'm sorry? It's Fatone. That's how it's pronounced. I've seen him. I know it's spelled Fat One, but it's actually pronounced Fatone. I thought his name was Joey Fatone all these years, and I was like, man, that's a really scandalous name. It's Fatone. Okay, Joey Fatone and Scary Spice will be co-hosting a singing reality show for TLC. Oh, original. Well, this one's going to be called The Singing Office. Ah, different. Where they go to people's workplaces and get a group of co-workers together. Come to my workplace. I got something for you. There you go. Come on, man. Hillary wants to get George Bush to boycott the Olympic opening ceremonies because, you know, everybody's against China because they do stuff that we don't like or something. Yeah.
Tibet and Sudan. Yeah, all that terrible stuff that's going on in Tibet and Sudan. You know, Skye, tell everybody about it. Well, you know, you've heard of free Tibet, right? Yeah, what is that about? Well, China, you know. What do they do? There's Tibet and China taking over and kicking. Yeah, it's awesome. We don't like that. And then with the Sudan, yes, Eddie spoke about the genocide. That's right. And everybody's against it. People don't like it. They don't like the genocide. No, we are not fans of genocide. And so then since China, you know, is kind of... They're fans. They're big fans. had a rock band called Genocide and they played one show at Brick by Brick and then they got booted off stage and they never played again. I like it when Phil Collins rejoined Genocide. They were good. Remember that song? Isn't easy love? That's good. That's solo. That's true. Okay. Kansas won last night in what was an embarrassment. Memphis should have, you know, won. Did you watch that game? Disgusting. Oh, dude. I feel, I mean, the thing is they talked about the strategy before they did it. Gotta make the free throws down the stretch.
Bang. Dude. Bang. Memphis missed every one of their free throws down the stretch. Or they would have won going away. Going away. It would have been nothing. That was the game. Really bad. Lou Bush, do you like baseball? When the fall classic starts. I don't watch it during the season. It's just boring. Is Michael Barrett, he's a catcher for us, right? Eddie? Yes. He hurt himself. Yeah, he hurt his elbow yesterday. They sent him home from San Francisco and he's probably going on the disabled list. How? What do you do? Throwing. Greg Maddox threw seven real strong innings. Yeah, he did. He's a stud. Forward break. I love Greg Maddox. And Ago, he had a really good name. He had a really good game, and he went four for five. Went yard. That's right. Big win yesterday over those crappy Giants. The Giants. The Giants are terrible. They're so bad. The Giants are really a bad baseball game. We're one game. We're one game. We're one game. He's in Bochy there. Yeah. Oh, he's going to get fired again. Poor guy. It's early in the season. We're rebuilding. You need Barry Bonds. We're not taking him back. You need some steroids on your team. No, we don't. We're working it out, everyone. In Ohio, an 11-year-old boy took the wheel of a runaway bus and saved the day. His name is Keanu. That's right. He's on fire today. It's his birthday. Alright, we gotta get out of here. 570-1053 is the phone number. Call us right now.
At the beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. And so, yeah, give us a call. Starbucks didn't come in today. What's up? I don't know. And I'm really bummed because they're doing this thing that I was actually really excited about. They are, well, first of all, they got like a new CEO that Starbucks was going kind of downhill. Their stock was kind of going into the pooper. And so this new CEO, he came in there and he changed all kinds of stuff. What they do is they used to keep their coffee for an hour and pour it out. Now they do it 30 minutes, they pour it out. So the coffee's real fresh. But when they started their very first store in Seattle, the reason that they got to be real famous and popular was because the coffee tasted real good. But as the years went on, they were like, well, that particular coffee they were using is kind of expensive to keep around. And so they got rid of it for coffees that I guess didn't cost as much. Well, they brought it back. And that's all they're serving right now. Is that original? And I had it this morning and it was really good. It's called Pike's Peak and they were going to bring some in and I don't know what happened. But anyway, I'll still give them a plug because I like the coffee. It's good. It's called Pike's Peak. Pike's Peak, dude. It's really good. Mikey Show, who's this? Hey, this is T1 Rude Dog. What's going on, Rude Dog? Hey, I just wanted to ask Eddie, what did he think about that game last night with Kansas and Memphis? Well, like we said, we were just talking about it. I thought it was a great game up until the end.
Memphis actually had a nine-point lead. Kansas came back. They started fouling them, and Memphis missed their foul shot. Really kind of disappointing. Obviously, the Memphis kids probably are devastated today because they should have won easily. I just want to say they showed some pretty good perseverance on those Kansas guys after almost blowing it in the game before. That's true. Thank you, man. Mikey Show. Hey, I got a theme song for you. P1 plus 90 here. Go ahead. Hey, Charles in Charge. Top 10, no? Don't remember it. Charles in charge of my day and my life. Don't remember. Is that how it really went? That's how it went. I want, I want Charles in charge of me. Mikey Show. Yeah, I got a guess for the theme song. Which one? Welcome Back, Hotter. That's a good one. That's a very good one. Really good. Mikey Show. Yeah, I would like to say that the creepiest pet is actually sea monkeys. They're pretty creepy. How many do you own? They are creepy. Mikey Show. Hello? All right, last call. Bring us home. Yeah, I was just wondering, the show advertises from 5.30 to 10. How come we're stalling at 10.42? We don't get off the air until we are done with all of our material, and today it took a while. And I understand if it irritates you, but there's not much I can do about that, sir. That's good. All right, thanks. Hey. Hey.
Should have Lou give out the address of his restaurant again because we'll get a thousand emails. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There you go. It's 888 South Euclid Avenue. Come and see us. Great food.
