Flip-flops every day? Huh? Yeah? Like on a regular basis or every once in a while? On the weekends. I usually don't wear them. See, I felt somehow strange wearing them to work. I don't know why. I do, too. Like, I feel, like, unprofessional. Yeah. And we're, like, the most unprofessional. Yeah. Like, I wear a shirt and shorts every day to work. Yeah. But not flip-flops, Eddie. Well, yeah, that'd be wrong. Yeah. That's how I kind of felt. Welcome to the show. Sky will wear slippers to work and feel comfortable. I need to get on that train. Well, you never know when I might be in a race. I feel like I should have my shoes. Sometimes I have to rock climb. Welcome to the program. It is 6-0-6. Well, it turns out that the mom who was shot by the off-duty police officer was drunk and tested positive for weed at the time of the shooting. The Denver Nuggets Carmelo Anthony was arrested and charged with a DUI. So, you guys know, you P1s know that
Every once in a while, we'll make an announcement that is really big. It's something that concerns P1s that's really, really awesome and cool and blah, blah, blah. And every once in a while, I will let someone in the P1 army know a day before, hey, man, we're going to do something really cool just between me and you. I didn't do that. I haven't let anybody know. No one knows about this except all of us on the show. I'll be telling you about it about 7.30. And so it's really awesome. So we'll be doing that a little bit later on. Let me introduce everybody. First of all, good morning, every Bubba. Just want to say that right off the bat. 570-1053 is our phone number, so call us. The beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. You can call in about anything you want. I'm excited to see what Boston Rob has put up this morning as music beds. Yes.
My favorite. It's become like a part of my day. You know what I like about Boston Rob's choices? He's unpredictable. So I never know what I'm going to get. Like one day it could be, you know, like the Glenn Miller Orchestra. One day it could be a classic rock band singing a song about a woman's name. Definitely. Anything from Amy to Melissa, you know. You get some gangster rap in there. Yeah, some gangster rap every once in a while. So he really mixes it up. Regardless, it really sets the vibe for the show. It really does. Yeah. It really does. So I can't wait to see what he has selected for today. 570-1053-P1s, feel free to call in. My name is Mikey, and I am the host of The Mikey Show. I have a big, giant aquarium in my office at home, but I do not know. How many gallons it is? I did when I got it, but I have forgot. And my friend Chris has an aquarium, and his is 100 gallons, which is big. That's really big. Yeah. That's huge. And I said, yeah, I have one too. It's either 50, 75, or 100 gallons. But I don't know how many. Did you look at his? No. Oh. No, he told me about it.
He said he was cleaning his tank, and I go, oh, dude, I have a tank. What do you have? He goes, salt water. I go, me too. He goes, yeah, I got 100 gallons. And I go, yeah, I got something. Mine has gallons. Yeah, it's got gallons in it. Lots of water. It's got a bunch of water in it. And really, that's, oh, and the tile is in. Oh. Oh, yeah, the tile is in. How did it come out? Dude, it came out really good. Oh, Eddie, so check this out. And I said that, and then I was like, oh, man. As I said it, have you ever done this? Uh-oh. Let me ask you if you've ever done this. Just know that I am a well-intentioned human being, Eddie. I'm a well-intentioned human being. Oh, no. And sometimes I make decisions. Snap. You know, I just, you know. So I hope that as I tell you this story that you don't go, hmm, well, gee, I wish you'd have thought of me on that one. Uh-oh. No, no, no. It's not like, it isn't like a sports thing or anything like that. But let me just tell you the story, okay? All right. So the guys that came.
They put in tile, and then the guys that came that had to tuck the carpet in, like there's a carpet guy, he comes and tucks the carpet in. Really nice kid. He comes over with this Mexican dude, and I'd say that this kid's probably like 21, something like that, right? So he comes in, and he goes, when someone, and you guys probably relate to this, when someone thinks that they recognize you, they say, hey, what do you do for a living? Yep. Right. That's the way, because they recognize you, but that's the way that they ask. I said, I'm a gardener and I work in the fields. I pick strawberries. I pick strawberries. I'm Hispanic. No, I said, I'm a morning radio talk show host. And he says, are you Mikey? I said, yeah. And so we're talking a little bit. And in my office, on the floor, I have this, it's a 30 pound, probably more than that. 30 pound, it's a granite Van Halen thing. It's like a granite Van Halen. It looks like a doorstop or something. And in San Jose, this guy actually worked on Eddie Van Halen's house and made these sculptures out of granite. It's beautiful. So he made one for me that said Van Halen. And I've had it and I'm 37 years of age now. And so I think Van Halen's cool and everything.
But I'm not really in the Van Halen 40-pound granite doorstop mode anymore. And so he goes, oh, dude, what is that? And he's like flipping it. And I go, oh, it's a 40-pound granite Van Halen doorstop. And he's like, dude, that's awesome. And I go, you want it? And he flipped his mind, flipped out. Aww. But as I said, I was like, I thought maybe you would be like, oh, dude, why didn't you ask me? No. You don't care, right? No. Good. So this guy, it was like I gave him, you know. A car. A car. So great. He flipped out and it would help me because what am I getting? I can't throw it in the trash can. Right. It's like throwing away a bowling ball. You know, the trash guy would be like. Are you kidding with that? You could have sold it, but you have to go through the hassle. He did something nice. That was cool. He was so happy. He was a real happy guy. Anyway, Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He is 35 years of age. He really likes sports. Here's something else about Eddie. His dad is one of the best cooks I've ever encountered in life. Eddie likes to cook too.
What did you eat last night? What are you doing? What are you holding up? Is this what you were talking about in the office yesterday? Eddie's holding up a plastic container. I decided, just on a whim in the office yesterday, I want to experiment. And that's all he would tell us. He's like, I have to go get ingredients. I'm going to experiment. And we're like, well, what are you going to make? He wouldn't tell us. We're like, okay, what genre? Like, why is it Mexican? He would not tell us. Nothing. He wouldn't give you anything. Well, if I would have said a genre, you probably would have known what I was making. I don't know. And I didn't want to talk about it because I was nervous. What is that? What is it? It was Irish. I made my homemade shepherd's pie. Get out of here right now. I feel like I'm on an island and something weird just happened. And I brought you, Mikey, your own Tupperware full. Have you ever done that? First time I ever made it. And it turned out fantastic. Check you out, bro. I was shocked. I was shocked. Wow. Really? Really, really good. Yeah. What ingredients did you use? Like for like the vegetables? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Vegetables. Peas, carrots, corn, and zucchini. I'm very excited. I'm very excited. Can I have a bite? Top of the morning to you. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Mikey Show.
Yeah, Ashley does like to share. She likes to share. Stop eating! She loves to share people's food, so she wants some. She always wants some. She's like your little sister. I kept thinking of Skye the whole time. Would she try this? No. Because my wife, even though she's Irish, isn't a big Shepherd's Pie fan. And I said, because she doesn't like the juice, too. She was worried about the juice, the gravy that you make. Thank you. And so I said, don't worry about it. I'll make it good. You'll like it. And she loved it. She thought it was really good. Oh, that's great. Really? Yeah. Well, more for her. How about that? I brought plenty, so you can try some. Come on, Skye. I heard Ashley wants a bite. She's going to get a bite. I heard Ashley wants a bite. Skye, I think you'd like that. Oh, Skye. Oh, look at Skye. She just. What are you concerned about? Well, first of all, you know how I'm not a big fan of combining foods? Like, I don't like to, you know, like. Binding? Yeah, like on my plate. Like, you know, my husband likes to, on his fork, have a. Combinding? Combinding. likes to have a little... She did do it. You're making up words. Combining? What is that? It's combined, right? No, yeah. That's past tense. Last night, I combined it. But if you are in the act of doing it, you're combining it. The word is combine. Combine.
I always thought there was a D on the end. My dad does the same thing. My dad does the same thing. My dad does it every day. I always thought there was a D. Only my dad does it with 400 words. I don't know. Combining. Combining. That is correct. Oh, that's going to take some work. Rob, what kind of food do you have early in the morning? That's going to take some work. What do you call that meal you have in the morning? Uh-uh. Say it. What is it? Breath kissed. What? Smart kid. So anyway, that is a mixture of food all in one, and I'm not a fan. I like my things separate. You're a separatist. You're a separatist. I like you. You're going to try it because I made it. Combining them. You're the best. I think we've already been through that, Sean. Thank you. Sky is our... When I drink coffee now, my hands sweat, which gross is... Nice. Join the club. No, man. I got to figure this out. No, dude, it's all good. Applesauce? It's God's way of punishing me for applesauce. For applesauce? Well, this one time we were doing this thing where we were doing this thing on the radio. It was called The Boyfriend. And we were having Ashley as the grand prize. And she got to pick. It was like The Bachelor. But Ashley was The Bachelor. The Bachelorette. And all of these guys came down and they wanted to meet her. And we went through this process to find her a boyfriend.
And this one guy came down. And I will never forget shaking his hand. He was nervous, I think. He was nervous. And when we were on the radio the next day, I said, I shook this guy's hand last night. I thought he had just dipped it in a bucket of applesauce. Which immediately named him applesauce hands for the remainder of the contest. So anyway, Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years old. Hi. She's got the headband rocking today. It's real good. How many of those you got? Four. What colors? Black, white, like a grayish green, and then like a burgundy. There you go. We have not seen the grayish green and burgundies, have we? I don't know. I don't think so, Ski. I'm sorry. Ski is, she has a big week ahead of her. She's got the in-laws coming into town. They're here, right? Well, they were supposed to be here. But they are not here. What? When were they supposed to be here? Yesterday. And what happened? They decided, because they live up in the Bay Area, that it would be nice to take the coast down. And we said, well, that's great and all, but you realize you're going to be hitting that Los Angeles on the Interstate 5 around evening rush hour. And we don't know if that's such a good idea, but they want to take the coast. So we're like, cool, you know, enjoy yourselves. And we got a call last night at about, I think about...
six o'clock from them in Santa Barbara saying, you know what? We're going to stay the night here in Santa Barbara and we'll see you tomorrow. It's a long day. The dog in the car and the whole thing. That would make my wife crazy. Well, yeah, because we were running around like mad yesterday with like last minute. Yeah, that's my wife. She has to have everything in order and there has to be a plan. Oh, yeah, and I'm huge, yeah. But, you know, I'm cool, whatever. So they're going to come in today. You know, they'll probably get in, like, in the afternoon. That's right. Sky and the family are going to Mexico. Well, I'm not going. And now we don't know if anyone's going. Oh, no. Yeah. The whole, yeah, we'll see. Español. Why? There may be documentation issues, but we haven't talked to his parents yet. Passport stuff, you mean? Well, because we thought that it was cool just to have a driver's license to come across. Yeah. And I guess you need a driver's license and a birth certificate unless you have your passport. So we don't know what kind of ID they have on them. We got to talk to them later today to see because we don't want, you know. Got it. The Hispanic ones being trapped over there. That's right. Well, they're all, aren't they all?
Well, not my father-in-law, but the rest of them are. Oh, really? Yeah. I did not know that. Yeah. That the bunny boo's dad is a white dude. Well, it's not his biological dad. But he's a white dude. But he's a white dude. There you go. Let's see. Shawnee, oh boy. Oh, look at him. Look at him. He's a handsome man. Oh, Shawnee. Shawnee. Shawnee. When we worked in San Jose, we worked with a woman named Tracy. Miss Piggy. Don't say that. She was a sweet person. She was my friend. She was too. Her name was Tracy, and on Fridays, she would go around the office, and every person that she saw, you know, she made it a point to say, happy Friday. She was one of those extra happy all the time people. Yeah, and Sean hated that. Well, because she was like, you know, she was morbidly obese. Sean is not true.
Hold on, I'm not insulting her. I'm simply stating a fact. You're making a clinical observation. She was one of those people that, you know, obviously had nothing but cats in her life. Oh, Sean, you're taking guesses. She was a dog person, thank you very much. She was trying to compensate for clinical depression. You're making clinical calls that you can't make. Hey, Ryder! I didn't stand. it. That's Sean. Just be depressed and shut up. Thank you. That's Sean. He's an interesting man. That's all I can tell you. He's an interesting guy. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is a sweet gal. She's 24 years old. Very tan lately. That's right. She's really happy. I talked to her this morning and she said her yoga instructor came back. It's like breathing a breath of fresh air into her. You don't even know, Mike. Really happy, right? I, like, almost teared up when I saw her. I walked in yesterday and I'm like, what is special about her? Why do you like her? What does she do differently? What is it that you like? Amy-O! She's got this amazing aura to her. Because yoga is, it's, you know, these classes are so hard. Give me some yoga. Something. Give me Maharishi. It rocks me. You know what I mean? It's so gnarly hard. It rocks your life.
So it's important for the teacher to keep everyone calm and breathing and keeping our auras in check. And she's very good at, like, really keeping that meditative state throughout the entire class. Tell me if I'm right. I picture a 64-year-old Indian woman with gray, long hair. Dead on. No, you are tripping. I picture a mid-30s blonde Southern California girl in great shape. Don't tell us yet, Ash. Eddie. I picture Tracy from... Morbidly obese. Morbidly obese. Yeah, you picture a morbidly obese, middle-aged woman. Happy Friday, yoga. So, Ash, who was right? None of you, actually. Wow, she's actually a black midget with red hair. That's crazy. She, Amy O., is a brunette, brown eyes, ripped. She has got, I mean... She's like, she looks like she could be in the Marines. Really? You know what I mean? She's just ripped. I would not mess with this chick. And she's, you know, like probably my height, like 5'8". See, now you changed everything. Now I'm thinking breast augmentation surgery. No. And a wedding ring that's the size of a, you know, like a gumball. No. No? No, and I think she'd probably be in her 20s. And she's a huge P1, by the way. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, and she's just awesome. She plays really good music, too. I'm really into her music selection, which is important because it gets you pumped up. Death metal, which is strange. You know, it's really weird. No, it's a plethora. A little suppletura. Everything. A little of everything. Well, let's see. Boston Rob. He is 25 years of age. And every morning when you say his name, he gets a big, giant smile on his face. He's a nice kid. He's 25. He's going to be married pretty soon, although he doesn't have a date for the marriage, for the wedding. And we can assume that we're invited to the wedding. You bet. Wow, that sounded weird. That did not sound good. Rob started to tell me something, and I said, please just save that for the air. He was starting to tell me about how he goes running every day. I've been starting to since last week. And what was your observation about yourself? Well, I live in a neighborhood. The time I go running is usually, like, right before sunset, so it's kind of cooled off. And there's a lot of people outside, like, working on cars or working on the yard or whatever. Every time I run by them, I always feel like they think I'm running from the cops or I just committed a crime. Well, he's wearing baggy pants, a wife beater, carrying a DVD player. I make sure to wear my shorts, my gym shorts. That's how he runs.
You wear your gym shorts? Yeah, yeah, I got to. Chasing Mike. And you still feel... I got sweatpants. I got sweatpants that I like to work out in or whatever, but I always got a wife beater on. But I feel like if I wore my sweatpants and they definitely think something was up. Because my neighborhood's not the best neighborhood, so anytime you see someone running, you know, the cops have been called many a times. That's great. That is... Hysterical. But I make sure that if I pass them once, at least like 10, 15 minutes later, I'll pass them again so they know that, you know... Everything's cool. Yeah. I'm just running around the block. I'm not disappointed. 570-1053. Call us, P1s. What's going on? What are you guys doing? What are you guys up to? Call about anything. Zeth... Roosevelt, Zethia notes? Rosie. Rosie. Roosevelt. Zethian Oates Jr. Esquire III is 23 years old. Very tall and has a lot of tattoos. So does Boston Rob. They both have a lot of tattoos. Zeth does not have one on his neck. Weird. Just Rob. And hopefully he will not do that. Hopefully he will not put San Diego on his throat. 619. That's right. I do.
No tattoo on the neck, though. Let's take your phone calls. Mikey Show, hello. P1 Cruz. What's going on? Me and my wife just got in an argument. I just dropped her off from work right now. She got in my car this morning, and I had the radio on a certain, well, 105.3. She reaches over and changes my radio without being like, oh, it's just, there's my radio, boom. That just hurt me, which made me mad. Go ahead. Well, she doesn't understand I'm a huge P1. Yeah. You know what I mean? And I was like, okay, when in the mornings, Mikey shows on, do not touch my radio. Question. I have a question. I have a question. You're a good man. Do you usually not take her to work? Yeah. You know, we're both in the military, so she usually takes her car, and I take mine. What changed? Why'd you have to take her today? Yesterday she had a doctor's appointment. I wanted to take her so I could figure out what's going on, too. Okay. And so she left her car.
With her, like, over there at the parking lot where she... I got it. I got it. So this is... Okay, so did you ask her, what does she listen to on the way to work? No. Yeah, you should. You should ask her, what do you... You know, honey, what do you listen to? Did she turn the radio off or did she switch it to something? She just started, like, kind of like channel surfing, like, right there in the passenger seat. Right in your face. Haven't you ever talked to her about the Mikey show? Oh, all the time. And, you know, I come home, like, oh, you'll never get it. And today they were, you know, it was today, Ashley was talking about an inverted dent. You know what I mean? I was like... But, you know, I don't know. I guess she's just different. Yeah, no, no, no. She's got to try it for herself, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to let her know. You got to say to her, no, no, no, you don't understand. Something really different's going on there on that station. Use the soap opera analogy. That's what I always do with my friends who don't believe me. What's the soap opera? What is that? It's like when you first listen to it, you're like, what is this? And there's a lot of inside jokes, and you're like, I don't get what's going on, and what's this reference, and I'm not sure. But you're like, oh, okay, maybe if I watch it one more time, or maybe if I listen one more time, next thing you know, you can't miss an episode. Ashley's right. You get addicted to it.
I guess what the issue is, when I get in her car, I just leave it, whatever. I don't touch anything. It's like, okay, that's your car. I respect her space, is what I do. Yeah, well, I would talk to her about it for sure. And then call us back and give us an update on what's going on. What is your name? My name is P1 Cruz. P1 Cruz, P1 Cruz, P1 Cruz. I won't forget it. I got it. I got it now. It's locked in there. All right, Cruz, thanks for the call. P1 Paparazzi is on the line. Uh-oh. Eddie! Wasn't as fast as other times I've seen it. I mean, I've seen it quicker, but it was pretty fast where Eddie sort of threw the head back and wanted to die. P1 paparazzi. We call him paparazzi because he used to take a lot of pictures of us. He doesn't anymore. His name is Brad. I like Brad. I consider him a P1 Hall of Famer. Eddie does not. Eddie is shaking his head no, no. He's the Pete Rose of the Hall of Fame. Yeah, yeah. Meaning, yeah, you know, he deserves, he should be in there based on his accomplishments. However, I can't put him in there based on principle. So, paparazzi, what's going on? I've got a problem with a peeping Tom neighbor's dog. What do you mean? His dog, like everybody else keeps their dog in their yards or if they bring him out, they're on a leash. His dog, he lets out daily.
to run around outside wherever it wants, and it always ends up in my backyard. I had new color stamp concrete poured, and I had to put a physical barricade around rather than tape just to make sure that that dog would not get in my yard. That's the only thing I had to worry about. See, now Ashley thinks it's funny because she loves crazy dogs. I have a philosophy on this. I have a take on this. I think if you don't know the neighbors yet, never let the dog out. But if you've met your neighbors and you know them all, it's okay because you can at least have a conversation with them. Then they feel comfortable saying to you, hey, did you know that Bozo got into the backyard and tore up my carrots? Well, I think it's irresponsible to let your dog run around. Regardless of if you know the neighbors or not, that's what your backyard is for. You know? That's why there's leash laws. I disagree because I've been that guy. The law disagrees. Yeah, this guy's right. The law says you're not supposed to do that. But the good neighborly law.
Oh, I don't follow that. This guy's not into that one. The good neighborly law says, you know, if you're out there and you're playing with your dog and you, like, live in a neighborhood and, you know, you're watching him, you know. Well, I think that's different if you're watching him versus just opening the door and going, okay, later, Fido. We'll see you later. Come back when you're done playing. Yeah. Well, the other day, the dog ended up in my house. Oh, that's bad. I went to him a couple days back, and I complained to him. I said, hey, I don't want to complain to the HOA. You're a neighbor that I have to live with daily. I'd rather deal directly with you. I've got the problem with your dog coming over. He's grabbed paintbrushes when I'm trying to paint. Oh, I would freak, man. He's turned out. I would freak. He's turned out. That wouldn't happen in my neighborhood, Mike. Why would it not happen in your neighborhood? Well, because I'd go right to the HOA. Yeah, you would, Johnny. He does. Yeah, you would. He does. He goes to that HOA. You know what I'm saying? In fact, I'm going to become president of my HOA, Mike. Shut your mouth! I haven't won yet, but we're on the road to victory. There you go. Thank you, paparazzi. A couple superdelegates. The ride's getting a little bit busier on our freeways here this morning. The South 15 is picking up a few brake lights now. You should work your way out of Escondido off to 78 via Rancho Parkway. A minor delay through the construction zone in Rancho Bernardo.
Authority still working on an accident here on the right lane of the Camino del Norte ramp to south 15. It was kind of shut down for a time with the blockage of that ramp, but they've moved it over to the right, and now you do have access there. Maybe a minor delay, but for a while it was pretty jammed up. Heading south in the 5, you're going to find some brake lights developing now out of Lucadia. Kind of off and on down in towards Manchester. Westbound 52, bit of a slowdown now coming up the hill out of Santee. Your west 8 ride looking good into the valley, 94 King Freeway. That's cooperating as well. And both the 5 and 805 northbound coming up onto the South Bay. A little bit jammed up on both these freeways up to National City. 805 bunches up again through North Park. Oh my gosh, hello. Featuring Mikey. I'm telling you that I believe that I would be the best person to change your diaper. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it, that's a flaw in my character. Sky. Sean. It's really difficult. Myself to speak. Myself on myself. Mikey's show's on. Five, three. Welcome back to the show. It is 641. Child endangerment charges are being considered for Richie Sambora after he got a DUI with his daughter in the car. It's a little revenge time. The Padres had the day off yesterday. Going to start a series with the Rockies tonight at Petco Park. Hey, you can text us at 35253. And you can call us at 5701053. My wife is so sick, man. If you pray, pray for my wife. Oh, really? Yeah, she really is, man. Like, we've all been hit by this thing in our house.
Yeah. And, you know, Jake had the flu. I had my deal. And she's got this deal, man, where her glands and her throat are swelled up so bad. She went to the doc yesterday. They gave her antibiotics. She started taking them yesterday. And she woke up today. It's worse. Yeah. As she said, it's swollen even more. She can barely swallow. It hurts really bad. Oh, poor thing. Hopefully these antibiotics will start working for her, but they're not yet. And so... He gave her amoxicillin, which I'll have to ask Eddie about because I know Eddie's a doctor, but I was like, you know. That's a good idea. Well, I'm actually not a physician or a doctor. He's a pediatrician. A pharmacist. A pharmacist. That's why he's wearing the code. Yeah, that's why he's wearing that lab code. But that doctor of dental surgery. I was like, to me, I don't know that much about antibiotics, but I always thought that the amoxicillin was the easy one. Well...
See, yeah, and I think they like to give that to you first because they don't want people to build up an immunity to antibiotics like you do because you take the Z-Pak all the time. So if they were always going straight to the Z-Pak, if you had a horrible virus eating your flesh off or whatever. Then they wouldn't be able to treat it. Then they wouldn't treat it. They wouldn't be able to treat it because they would have done stuff already, right? Well, man, I'm concerned about her. I hope she's feeling better pretty soon. Let's see. Bunch of stuff to tell. First of all, today's tax day. Oh, yeah. It's April 15th. Get on it, peeps. Yeah. So, Sky, are they doing anything around San Diego in terms of like anybody staying open late? Yeah. Well, as you know, because you have to have it postmarked today. So there used to be like post offices all over the county staying open, you know, late hours. But now because so many people do the e-file, they've really reduced the number. So there's three post offices in the county that are going to have extended hours today. The Chula Vista main post office on 3rd Avenue and the El Cajon main post office on West Lexington will be open until 630 tonight.
And if you're really, really a procrastinator, the San Diego main post office on Midway Drive will be open until midnight. Wow, wow. So, there you go. That's the one you want to go to if you're lagging. And there's people that do that, right? Like, they're going there 1030 at night. Can you believe it? Like, who's that guy? I don't know. What is he up to? Like, what's he up to? Get it done, dude. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. What's up? This is P1 Flip. What's up, Flip? First-time caller, long-time listener. Love you guys' show. Nice. I'd like to say that. Thank you. I had a question about restaurants around the area. Okay. I've only been in the area for about six months, and me and my wife's anniversary is coming up here pretty quick. What kind of food do you like? We're into different things. She really had her heart set on Benihana's. Yeah? Oh, so good. But I wanted to see what you guys have recommended for our first anniversary. Well, Benihana, you can't go wrong with Benihana, because Benihana's good. The food tastes good. All of us will have a different take, so we'll go around everybody. My favorite restaurant in the world is Pample Moose Grill in Del Mar. It's my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. And I can say that because I go back, and every time I go back, I'm still really loving the food. The guy that owns the place is this dude, Jeffrey Strauss. He's the executive chef. And that dude is great.
crazy talented. You know how some people can just draw pictures and when they draw, you go, dude, how did you do that? That's him with food and flavors and stuff like that. And he takes normal stuff like a hamburger and he makes it the best hamburger you've ever stuck in your mouth. They have these fries. They're called truffle fries and it's the greatest fry I've ever had in my life. Pamplemousse is on... Via Delavalle. And they're not an advertiser or anything. It's my favorite restaurant I've ever been to, and I love it. Eddie, what do you love? What part of town do you live in? Well, I live in Spring Valley, but I work downtown. I'm on Coronado. Well, downtown, if you like seafood, Ocean Air is, to me, one of the greatest seafood restaurants there is. I love Ocean Air, so that would be a good suggestion. Great atmosphere downtown. Great food, man. Great food. Skye, what do you think? Well, I'm a North County girl, so my suggestion is we're going to be in North County, but now after Eddie's comment, something that's fun and kind of cool and hip and everything is the strip club downtown. That's kind of a neat experience if you've never done that, something different and neat where you cook your own meat. Gaslamp Strip Club is on Fifth Avenue, and she's right, man. It's really good food. You've got to cook your own steak, and you should know that going in.
Yeah, and no kids allowed, right? I don't know. Don't they not? Okay, maybe I'm talking about... It's 21 and over. Okay, that's what I thought. Yeah. It's because they got, you know, grills in the middle of the restaurant. Is it really to eat there? You got to be 21? Yeah. I had no idea that was the case. Well, because they have those hot grills. I mean, that's like a liability. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kids running around. Yeah. It's pretty awesome, though. Yeah, it's fun. Anybody else on the show here? You guys want to make a suggestion? Anybody else? Those are three really great restaurants that you can try, dude. That's a... That's a good idea. We gave you one in downtown. We gave you two downtown. We gave you one kind of North County. I really like the ocean air idea. Right on. It's really good food, dude. You'll love it. Yeah, you'll like it a lot. Okay, man. Thanks. P1 Dutch Boy. Hey, what's up, Mikey Show? What's up? I have a little bit of an argument going on with all my buddies. Uh-huh. And this is an argument.
If you combine the talent of all the movie characters played by Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who would win in a fight? It's easy. Yeah, Schwarzenegger, because... Hell no. Dude, he was a machine, bro. You said if you took all the movies and you put them together, he's indestructible. That's not a real question. Sarah Connor beat the Terminator. Sylvester Stallone beat the Russians twice. You got me. In Rambo 3 and in Rocky 4. I didn't think of that. And Arnold Schwarzenegger gave birth. That's true. What if the Terminator was like, had, you know, female hormones from that movie Twins?
I didn't think of that. But, see, I believe it would take Stallone a while to figure out how to bring down the Terminator. I mean, Sarah Connor spent years and years trying to figure this stuff out. That's true. So I think within that time span of him trying to figure it all out, like, he's not even going to know he's a machine at first. That's true. She didn't bring him down in 2. He brought himself down, remember? He lowered himself into the... That's right. Great point. Sarah Connor didn't do it, dude. It was him that decided that he was going to do it to himself. Yep, the governator wins. What do you think of that, bro? I'm still leaning towards Stallone. I'll even take Schwarzenegger and Predator over Rambo. Oh, yeah, dude. Why are you going Stallone, Dutch boy? Well, I'm leaning towards Stallone because he did take down the Russians pretty much in Rocky IV. Took on the entire Russian army in Rambo 3. Took on the entire Vietnam army in Rambo 2. And got a Medal of Honor over there. And what else did he do? What is his area of weakness, Rambo? Because you can see areas of weakness with Schwarzenegger's characters. He's a hothead. He's a hothead. Yeah, you know. You push Rambo and he... You can relate. He'll keep charging until he goes down. So that's his weakness, I think. He's not smart.
See, he's not smart enough to figure out Cyberdyne and all that stuff. He'd Google it. He'd end up in Louisiana. He'd make up these little wood spike booby traps. And the Terminator would break on his ectoskeleton. He'd laugh. And then he'd get all flustered. He'd be like, what is it working? What is this work? Wood booby traps don't work on my ectoskeleton. skeleton. I wish I could figure out how to beat you. You can't beat me. I'm a machine. These bamboo things aren't working. But I have heart. Alright, dude. Thanks for the brain tease. We're going to be making a gigantic announcement just after 7 o'clock that we do not want you to miss. Alright, so we know this case that happened in Oceanside where this woman Got her and her son. How old is her kid? Seven? I believe eight. Eight years old. Her and her eight-year-old kid. They get shot by an off-duty police officer up in Oceanside. And we were talking about the story. Sky was explaining it. And it sounds so shady from both sides. Yeah. Sounds shady from her side because she sounds like she's road raging on this guy. Yes. It sounds shady from his side because he's an off-duty cop.
who had his gun in his lap and shows her the gun, and he can't see her because her windows are tinted, whatever. I don't care who's in the car. And it trips me out that he could have very easily just left. Like he had the opportunity to leave, but it sounds like he was mad. Engaging. He was engaging. And so Sky says, we're kind of finding out a little bit more, right? Yes, new documents were released yesterday because a lot of these documents had been sealed. And so they were unsealed yesterday. And so the public could find out what these documents said. Well, we talked about briefly before that, you know, at the time of the accident, the mom was driving on a suspended license as a result of two prior DUIs. Well, it turns out at the time of this incident, she was drunk. She had a blood alcohol level of 0.15. Shut up! She tested positive for marijuana, and she also had a marijuana pipe with residue in it in her pocket. Oh, man. Her name is Rachel Silva, and I believe... Sean, is this audio of Rachel Silva? Yeah, she was sitting there with her lawyer and talking directly to whoever this interviewer was. Cut 33. A cop, like, out of all people, like, that's where we were shot from.
I don't know how to get through that yet. I don't know what to think about, you know. I mean, they're supposed to protect us and help us, and that's not what happened. How would you know you were wasted? Aren't you supposed to protect your child? Let's see. This is her attorney, Jean Iredale. Cut 35. Because we believe the evidence is going to show... that she was retreating away, going backwards away from him at the time the bullets were shot into this car. I thought he was. I thought he was backing. Well, remember he backed up. and then she backed up and sideswiped him, and that's when he opened fire. So the attorney is claiming that when she was backing up and sideswiped him, she was actually trying to leave. Well, she was drunk, though, and so that's why she... Seriously. Yeah, no, definitely. The reason that she probably sideswiped him is because she was wasted. Well, and this all started because she almost... Well, I don't know if she was wasted. I don't know that she was wasted. Well, a point, she had doubled the legal limit in her system. She was intoxicated. She was intoxicated. Almost doubled the legal limit, yeah. But remember, this whole incident started because...
she almost caused an accident by running into their car when she was pulling out of a gas station so that again goes back to the intoxication but then of course does that you know justify him opening fire so i'm curious i'm curious as you're listening in your car and you're getting to work or maybe you're listening at home or whatever who whose side do you err on here Because you might be able to go, man, this cop was out of control, man. There was no reason that he had to do this. And what's he whipping out a gun and firing shots? He shot an eight-year-old kid, blah, blah, blah. And he's off duty. He could have easily left. Okay, you got that side, right? But then you got the side that goes, so what about this mom? And she's, well, she's intoxicated. She's got a pot pipe in her pocket. When they tested her, she's got pot in her system. Where are you with it? 5701053. Our text number is 35253. So come on. I want to hear from you. Take a quick time out. I've been watching the series on HBO. Show off. You're watching that? Oh, wait. It's so awesome. You would not like it. But history buffs would love it. What is it? John Adams. Oh, really? Dude, that guy was a lot more important than people got, that he ever got credit for. He was. He was amazing. He invented the flowbie, I think, is that vacuum that is your hair. That is inaccurate. He did not? No. He did not do that. He ate the blow dryer. And the blow dryer, that is right. And the blow torch. Believe it or not. He didn't come up with that term, set it and forget it. He did. Mikey Show. Rock 105.3. Who's that, Rob? Who is this artist? Oh, is it Joe Cocker? Oh, I know who it is. Huey Lewis and the News. Nice. Welcome back. It is 7.04. Text number is 35253. I'm going to read some of your texts here in just a second. And make sure you call in. We're talking about this deal with, you know, the cop, the off-date cop shooting the woman. And her 8-year-old son just found out she was intoxicated, had a pot pipe in her pocket, had pot in her system. You know, who was spurring who on?
And we're getting very differing opinions. 570-1053 is the phone number. We're getting some comments on who would win in a fight of all of Stallone's characters put together against all of Schwarzenegger's characters put together. And people are texting at 35253. Mikey, Stallone couldn't figure out the three seashells. How's he going to beat the Terminator? Mikey, the Terminator died in the first movie by a human. Stallone all the way. Go to Mexico with the in-laws or eat shepherd's pie. I love it. Sky, which will it be? I say no, thank you. I did not sign up to play that game, and I will not play that game. Thank you. Let's see. Before we get back into the police shooting, which we're going to get into, and we're taking your phone calls, 570-1053, I told you that Senator John McCain's wife, Cindy, had an addiction. It's looking good. That is a fact. Cut five.
have admitted to being addicted to the painkillers. Will you use that as a platform to talk about drug abuse? Absolutely. It's part of who I am and it's part of what, as you grow older, your life experiences make you and hopefully you learn from them. Strolling the beachfront not far from her Coronado Island condominium in San Diego, Sandy McCain candidly speaks of her three-year addiction to prescription painkillers that began in 1989 after undergoing back surgery. Her parents staged an intervention forcing her to get the help she needed. I think it made me a better person as well as a better parent, so I think it would be very important to talk about it and be very upfront about it. I have been, but I mean more so on a more national and international level. I don't know. Initially, when they were asking her about it, I got a vibe of like, hmm, I'd rather not talk about this. But we'll see. You know, when Senator McCain becomes President McCain, we'll see if she makes that into one of her platforms. First Lady McCain. Yeah, First Lady McCain. We'll see what she does. Two of my favorite people addicted to painkillers. That's right. Sidney McCain and Brett Favre. There you go. Oh, goodness. Sidney McCain is one of your top two favorite people. Well, you know, if you take me into account, Eddie is drawn to addicts.
All three of you gorgeous. Yeah, that's right. So thank you very much. P1 Terminator, are you there? Yes, I am. What's going on, man? Who do you back in this? I back the cop. Why? I back the badge. Why the cop? Well, one, and I'll make my point very clear, is that cops arrest people daily. They don't know who is going to come after them. They can come after them. People who get arrested can go after the cop for arresting, you know, arresting them. Like retaliation? Yeah, retaliation, basically. So the cop doesn't know who is basically starting trouble with it, I would say. Now, we don't know all the facts. We only know bits and pieces. That's a granted fact. Now, if someone is coming after the cop, he has every right to protect himself in the lives of his occupants of his car, his house.
his family, whatever it is. So for people to say that the cop is wrong for shooting, I don't believe that. He has every right to do that. I just wonder why the cop was there. The cop's out doing whatever he wants to do. He's not obligated. What I'm talking about is the cop pulled into a space. He pulled into a space to get away from her. Hang on a second. Because all we're dealing with here is, like you said, you know how you said we don't know all the facts? All right. Okay, I agree with you. I agree with you. I don't think we do know all the facts. But so what I want to go on is just the facts that we do know. Holy cow, that shepherd's pie is good. Eddie made a shepherd's pie. I want to take another minute. Focus, Mike. Focus. We're in the middle of a sentence. Can I take a bite and then we get back? No, you cannot. Fine. Why not? This is a serious trip. It's really good. Okay, how about when you go to the next caller and they start talking and then you can take a bite? But you're in the middle of a thought right now. I can't, Skye. It's not getting cold, Skye. I'll do both. Thank you, buddy. All right, dude. It's getting cold. All right, so. Oh. The bottom line is that.
Let's just deal with what we know. Your point is losing all credibility. All right, let's deal with what we know. The cop pulled out of the parking space and stopped. Why'd he do that? Why do you think he did that, P1 Terminator? Well, okay, this is why I think. No procedure would suggest that he was probably stopped to get a good look at the description of the car, the license plate, all the facts are reported in. Never thought of that. Never thought of that. That's good. Honestly, I never thought of that. In fact, in all the thought that I've been... I don't buy it. Skye, why not? I mean, it's a good theory, but at the same time, I don't care who you are. If you're really fearing for your life and the life of your wife, I want out of there. They already called 911 prior. The cops were already on their way to the location.
They've been seeing this car and interacting with this car for a while. And if I was fearing for my spouse's safety, I am out of there. How about this, Skye? How about you go, okay, I understand that. That's where Skye would be coming from. Let's say this cop, he thought that too. But he was being a hero. He was looking out for others. Whether he's a cop on duty or off duty, he's always a cop. And he's looking out for others. He wants to make sure that this person doesn't get out of that parking lot before the cops get there and there's no license plate. Well, how many shots are fired? Do we know? Five. Okay, five is a little excessive. One is kind of a warning shot. Hey, you know. You know cops don't. But Rob, you know cops, they don't do warning shots. You know that though, right? Five shots though? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's all I'm saying. Yeah, go ahead, bro. That's shoot the kill right there. I had some police training, honestly. I got some criminal training. Let's reenact it. In all seriousness, seriously, I had about five years worth of going to school with. And I have also had firearms training. Normally, cops are trained for, it's called double tapping. I think policies have changed, but when I was going to school, it was like, you take two shots. That's true.
You go pop, pop. When you do it, you take the two shots off. You squeeze a couple of hours. You know what I mean? Thank you very much, P1 Terminator. I appreciate it. No, he's right. The cops, when they do, they squeeze two off at once. P1 Kit Kat. Yep. Who do you side with? I side with the lady just because of, I guess, the technicality. About a year and a half ago, I was on a jury, and the guy, we, All of us jurors had no doubt he was guilty, but there's a law in California that if you can prove the cop used excessive force, you're innocent of all charges. But he was being rammed with a car. Like, that's not being threatened? Maybe if I was on the jury in this, I would say he was trying to fire until the car stopped. The only reason he fired five shots off is because he didn't have 117 in the chamber. He felt like his life was in danger.
True. Do you know where the shots were fired? I mean, he could have just shot out tires. Did he have to shoot into the car where there were people? He was in his own car, wasn't he? Yeah, he was in his car. That's a little tough to do. So the only thing he could do was fire at the vehicle. Which is a crazy move when you think of it, because those bullets, they don't fire into the car and stop. So if you're in a parking lot... Oh, my gosh. You're in a parking lot... Oh, I don't even want to think about it. Who knows where those five bullets are going to end up? Yeah, that's... You know, like when you see... These crazy, like, guys from Al-Qaeda on video firing their automatic weapons in the air. You know, you kind of want to say to them, hey, fellas, you know, that, that, oh, never mind. Gravity. There's this thing called gravity and it, oh, never mind. Let's do this. Let's take a quick time out. Eddie, no one dances like that. Oh, I do. No, you, you got it. Eddie, who do you call that move? I mean, what is it really? Who would we call that? It's just, it's like the... Okay, it's the word up. Word up. 35253 is our text number. Our phone number is 5701053. When we come back, we're going to make this announcement. Yeah, Eddie, yeah. Why the open mouth, though? Why the open mouth, no expression? Mikey, they were both... Here's text. Mikey, they were both at fault. Either way, the child had to suffer. P1 love pink.
Mikey, mom gets two years. Cop gets fired. Kid sues mom and city. Boom, college fund. Everybody wins. You won lead. So when we come back, we will be making this announcement, and I think you're going to like it a lot. Don't go anywhere. This is the Mikey Show. Get downloads and podcasts. at rock1053.com. That's not a rhetorical question. The answer is pity and not an interest in what the flyer you're handing out is actually selling.

It looks like a tough ride right now in the North County South 15. You've got plenty of stuff to deal with out of Escondido now, off to 78, kind of staying slow in through Escondido and the Via Rancho Parkway. Some reduced speeds as you make it through that construction zone, kind of squirreling around here through Rancho Bernardo, and then a brief slowdown through Carmo Mountain Ranch.
The Coastal Ride, South 5, seeing a heavy ride now out of Lucadia. That's pretty solid all the way down at Solana Beach. Coming out of the East County in that westbound 52 at Asante, a little bit slower, reduced speeds heading up the hill. West 8 is also seeing just a brief slowdown here as you come into La Mesa, Spring Street, out towards Lake Murray, and then you're good to go. The 94 King Trayway has been a nice ride so far this morning, so just a minor delay here from 32nd Street in the downtown. And your ride out of the South Bay, really not too bad on the 5 or the 805 northbound. Just brief slowdowns up to National City. 805 slows a little bit again to North Park, and now you're seeing some reduced speeds again out of Courtney Mesa, heading up over to 52. I'm McLaurin's on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. I'll pick our nose. No, don't. Not all of us. Eat stuff. I'm going to eat it. AIOC San Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show, featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I just want my sandwich like I want my sandwich. Sky. I enjoy presents. What can I do? Sean. I'm Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On Rock 105.3. It's really good. I'll have to bring it in to you guys because I have to admit, I have the CD. Really? It's the soundtrack to the movie Duets. Oh. With Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis. It's a great movie. Yeah, and I liked... Great movie? Yes.
I mean, you don't just throw around. She does. She likes certain movies. I enjoy it. Great. Like, any time it'll be on, I'll watch it. I've never seen it. And Sky, your favorite film of all time? Girls Just Want to Have Fun. That is correct. Another great one. It is a good one. It is a good one. Good or great? Great. Classic. It was nominated for Goodest Movie of the Year. I liked it. It's a classic. Welcome back. It is 7-21. J.K. Rowling testified in court yesterday that her legal battle against a Harry Potter encyclopedia has, quote, drained her creativity. Kansas State All-American freshman Michael Beasley. Ladies and gentlemen, a couple of years ago, I believe it was 2005. It may have been 2006. We did an event at Qualcomm Stadium. And it was called... The sticker stop. And you may have remembered it because it was a news item that day. And the reason that it was is because our listeners caused a sig alert. Love it. Now, if you don't know what a sig alert is, a sig alert is where they are having to warn the public through radio airwaves and whatever means possible they have that there is a traffic condition that has become so congested.
that they have to issue something called an alert, a SIG alert. And our listeners came out in such numbers that they shut down something called Interstate 15. They also shut down Friars Road and turned out in force. What they were coming out for that day, and you may be asking yourself now, wow, I mean, was it a million dollars? Were they coming out there because they were going to be given... The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory golden ticket in the chocolate bar? What exactly? Were they going to make claim to Mr. Wonka's factory? What was going on? I've got a golden ticket. I've got a golden ticket in my mouth. No, no, no. What happened? He bites into the candy bar. He bites into the candy bar.
But we digress. I'll look up the lyrics. There you go. Yeah, look it up. The reason they came out there that day, folks, was for a bumper sticker. Wait, hold on. Come on. Stop it. Not just any bumper sticker. No, it wasn't. It was a P1 Army bumper sticker. Hell yeah, it was. Now, you may see them around town. You may see them on vehicles around town. Now, I've seen a lot of different bumper sticker campaigns, but I've never seen one like ours. I've never seen a bumper sticker campaign where people were stealing them because they were in pretty high demand. The reason that we're making a big deal out of this is because, folks, we have a brand new sticker. The only thing that makes your ride cooler than having the original Mikey Show P1 Army bumper sticker is having them both. And so we are going to urge everybody that has the original. to come out and get the second generation Mikey Show P1 Army bumper sticker. So true. You know what it's like? Bigger and batter. It's like when you get your bachelor's, but then you're like, well, now I'm going to go for like my MD. You know, it's like every edition makes you look that much more. That's right. So true. Powerful. That's right. Well said. Eddie just held up an etch-a-sketch to Ashley that says, shh. Got to
It's your MD. You know what I'm saying? He wants. Now, check this out. Now, we're going to get a picture of this sticker up on the website very soon. Cool. Because we want you to be able to see what the sticker looks like. It's pretty sweet. It's pretty sweet. But this is the deal. We're going to be doing another sticker stop at Qualcomm. And we are going to invite the world out again. No! You nuts! I know. What's wrong with you? Well, the deal is that this time we have alerted the authorities. Yeah, we've made arrangements. We've made arrangements with the San Diego Police Department. Dude, we had to. You're smart. First of all, it was the only way Qualcomm would let us back. Oh my gosh. Because they weren't equipped for it. And, you know, originally we had picked this day and they said...
Yeah, we have somebody there that day that's going to be using the stadium as well, and we can't have you there that day because we shared with you last time, and people couldn't get out. Now, we're talking a stadium, okay? They have Charger games there. Yeah, but we're just trying to give you a little bit of an idea of how many of you turned out to get the last sticker. So we've got this new one. And it's from Cricket Wireless, the U.S. Border Patrol. They went in on this thing with us. They put their insignia on the back flap. And the sticker itself, it's just a cool design, man. It looks cool. And we want to see these things all over San Diego. And Jay, our promotion director, I don't know if you've ever heard us talk about Jay, but when he goes, he goes big. Yeah. He's crazy. He goes big. Yeah. And so he is constructing a stage out there. Of course he is. Of course he is. Oh, my God. He's constructing a stage out there. I feel like Ozfest out there. It is. And so basically, it's going to be gnarly. It's just us out there that day and you coming out to get it. Oh, when is it? Saturday, May the 10th. Oh, let me write it down. Oh, wow. Where's the board?
Put it on the board. Put it on the board. Put it on the board. It's less than a month. I just got a instant message from P1 Danny. Danny. And Danny wants to know if Sean is going to be there. Yes, he will. Shawnee, oh boy. Yes, he will. Shawnee, oh boy, will be there. He is? Shut up. Shawnee's got to be there. Why would I not? Why would I not? This is going to be the hugest event. You hate everybody? That's true. I do hate everybody, but I was there for the last one. I'll be there. That's right. Saturday, May the 10th. When P1 sticker strikes attack. Ooh, I like it. Axes for stickers. Nope, try again. The sticker before X-mas. This P1 sticker strike is a P1 sticker strike part.
Now, is it going to be like last time where there's going to be like... It's going to be worse, Skye. It's going to be worse. It's going to be worse. If you're asking, yes, it's going to be bad for the three-way system. But I remember last time when people rolled through to get their sticker, they also got a prize and the prizes range, you know, is there stuff this time? I'm glad you asked, Skye. Because everyone who puts the sticker on their car is guaranteed a... $50 toward a good neighbor tattoo. What? Wow. Yeah, we hooked up with good neighbor tattoo. And when you get a tattoo, they look at you, they go, yeah, you know, whatever you're going to do costs about this much. Right. This is 50 bucks towards whatever you want to do. So if it's a $50 tattoo, you just got a free tattoo. And that's everybody that goes and puts it on their car. Dude. Everybody. That's huge.
Now, I'm going to tell you right now, I'm sleeved with tattoos, so I need to let everybody know they don't wash off. So if you get one, just know they don't wash off. They stay there. But it's a $50 certificate toward a good neighbor tattoo and a free car wash from Massey Toyota. Are you kidding? Everybody that puts the sticker on their car gets that. Oh, my gosh. Free car wash, $50 toward the good neighbor tattoo. One lucky winner. Yeah. Okay, because as you drive through, everybody's going to be qualified. One lucky winner is going to walk away Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250 R from House of Motorcycles. Now, just like with the tattoo, I have to let you know, those go fast. I've heard that. They do not have airbags. Yes. They do not have airbags. And so I'm going to ask you, if you do this, protect your head. Yes.
By what? Protect your head by wearing your helmet. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. Thank you, Gary Busey. Gary Busey sits on hold throughout the entire Mikey show, and whenever we talk about motorcycles, he chimes in. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. He always says the same thing. Over and over. Over and over again. Did you hear what I said? One line. lucky winner is going to walk away with a Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250R from House of Motorcycles. Oh, did I mention that we will have over $200,000 in cash and prizes to give away out there? The day that we do the sticker. $200,000 in cash and prizes. You're guaranteed a prize of some sort. You're guaranteed Everybody that goes through there and gets the sticker is going to get something. The $50 towards the tattoo and free car wash from Masi Toyota. So that's the minimum. No matter what. No matter what that happens. It doesn't matter who you are. But one person is going to win that Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250R from House of Motorcycles plus tons of other people. Listen to the things that we're going to be giving away out there that day.
A $2,500 gift certificate from audio car towards audio video equipment. $2,500 gift certificate to audio car. Nice chunk of change. Towards audio video equipment. Oh, how about season tickets to the 2008 Charger season? How about, you know, gas is a little tough right now. Gas prices are kind of high. How about if we were to give you? A $1,000 gas card. Yes, please. Oh, yes, yes. I'll be there. Two Phillips. How about if we were to give you a real nice, sweet, flat screen TV from Encinitas TV? I will take that as well. Thank you. Yes, please. Thank you very much. And because today is April 15th and we have until May the 10th until we do this, we're going to be adding prizes to this as we get closer. Yeah.
But right now, what we have to tell you is that the entire Mikey show will be out there. We are going to be giving you a brand new state of the art designed by George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic. Really? I didn't know that. Wow, that's impressive. I didn't either, so I hope that's true. Oh, it's not. It's not? Okay. Okay, but the sticker's cool anyway. It is, yeah, that's true. So you get the brand new sticker put on your car. You get to show that you're a P1. And you also are going to have a chance at all those prizes and every single person that puts that sticker on is getting something. So it's going to be absolutely humongous. That is so rad. Put that on your calendar, man. May the 10th. Yeah. Saturday, May the 10th, Qualcomm Stadium. Be the event of your life. Nothing you've ever seen. All right, we got to take a quick time out. When we come back, we're going to find out why Dr. Phil was kind of wandering through the hallways. And you can text us at 35253. From Jackson Drive in towards Lake Murray and then slows from the college area into the 15. That's because northbound 15 is so jammed up here. A message from the California Office of Problem Gambling. With another classic Mikey moment. Eddie, the question that was asked of Sky was if there was a bomb in the studio, who would you trust to make the decision on which wire to cut? That's great. I think if I'm thinking like Sky, she's going to think that Sean knows something about that bomb technically. And she will want Sean to cut that wire. Do you guys share a brain now? Well, he's read the internet. It's on there somewhere. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. It is 740. The same day that Mayor Sanders presented a budget that would cut 130 city jobs, the city council voted to give him and themselves raises. Former NFL player Herschel Walker releases a book that says he suffers from multiple personality disorder. Wow. Yeah, we have audio of that coming up in just a little bit. If you are just tuning in, we made an announcement just a few minutes ago that the Mikey Show has its second generation P1 Army sticker. And we're going to be doing another sticker strike at Qualcomm, May the 10th. If I were you, I'd line up now. Yeah.
Here's the deal. When we do this, every single person that puts a sticker on their car is going to get a $50 certificate towards a tattoo at Good Neighbor Tattoo. Every single person putting one on their car is going to get a free car wash from Massey Toyota. One very lucky person is going to get a Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250R from House of Motorcycles. We are going to be giving away over $200,000 in cash and prizes. $2,500 gift certificate from audio car towards audio video equipment. Season tickets to the 2008 Charger season. $1,000 gas card. Let's see. A flat screen TV from Encinitas TV. This is big. This is a real big thing. Saturday, May the 10th. Sean is flying in. Jay, our promotion director, is having a stage put up. The San Diego Police Department's involved in it to try to be able to get people in and out of the place. It's going to be really, really amazing. Here's some of the text messages we're getting at 35253. Mikey, me and my husband are so excited. I'm getting it off work, and we're going to camp out in the car the night before. Woo-hoo. Nice. It's P1 Ashley and P1 RJ. Awesome.
Mikey, that rocks. I just got a new car and miss my sticker. Go Army. That's P1 Jess. Mikey, I can't wait to get the new sticker that represents the best thing that's happened to the San Diego airwaves. You guys rock. Me and my 300 Army will be there. That's P1 Leonidas. Mikey, will we be able to get more than one sticker? I'd like one for my work truck too. Thanks, P1 Scuba Diver. That's a good question. We got to get Jay. We'll talk to Jay and find out. That is a really good question. We'll try to get him on the phone and see if he knows the answer to that. That is an important question. We have a limited number of these things available. That's why when those old ones go out, there's only a few left. What's going on with Jay? She left a message. She's trying to get a hold of him. I thought he was on hold.
I thought he was in a hold. Okay. So we'll try to get a hold of him a little bit. Let's see. Do you guys have the first sticker to get the new one? Do you have to have the first sticker to get the new one? Absolutely not. No. No way. No, absolutely not. You do not have to have the first sticker. All you need is a car, man. You drive in there and you get the sticker. Awesome! Mikey, this is breathtaking. All right. Those are some awesome prizes. Can't wait to be there. It was P1 Sanjaya. Oh, breathtaking. Mikey, not only is I8 East going to be busy due to the sticker event, but May 10th is also the beginning of SDSU's final exams. Imagine the traffic. Oh, man. Imagine the failings in the exams because I don't think anybody's going that day.
It's a Saturday. Roll through. Be on your way to class. Get a sticker. Bam. Get a prize. Bam. Go to class. Bam. A lot of bam. A lot of bam. That's how it works. Okay. So May the 10th. Love to see you out there. It's going to be awesome. I have an email I'd like to read to you. I would love to hear it. It says, Hey guys, I heard on the show yesterday that Sky was afraid to go to Mexico. I couldn't agree more. Oh. I'm terrified to go to Mexico after hearing all the stories of my friends getting in trouble down there. Not to mention all the crime and corruption down there. I refuse to go. It's a foreign country for Pete's sake. Sky's just being honest about her feelings. You guys need to leave her alone. Thank you. Signed, P1 America rules. Listen, people are very polarized on the topic. Should you go to Mexico? Are you going to get in trouble down there? Are you going to get pulled over by the federales? Kidnapped? I was almost kidnapped. You were not almost kidnapped. I was too. How does she make these comments like this on the radio? The balls on this one. It happens. I've swallowed the entire hook, dude. It's in my stomach.
Spit it out. I can't. I just swallowed. Do you want me to reach in there? No, dude, I'm telling you. I got pliers. I swallowed the whole thing. Fine. Ask Michelle. She'll tell you. Oh, yeah. I'm sure you guys were real sober, too. Well, that was part of the problem. That was part of the problem. A couple of guys pulled up in a white van and said, can you help me put my couch in the back of this van? And he had a cast on, so I thought he was... Yeah, he thought he was really hurt. He's got a cast on. What are you about a shy shovel? Well, I guess I am. Jay Isbell is on the line right now. Jay is our promotion director. How's it going, guys? Good, man. We got a very important question here, Jay. Okay, I hope I have the answer. Somebody wants to know how many stickers they can get. And I think that's an important question because it can get crazy out there, man. We have so many people. How many stickers when they're coming through the line? Yeah, because everybody's going to get a sticker put on their car that comes through, but people want to know if they can get more than one. Yeah, I'm thinking we're going to stick with one. We're going to have a bunch, but I don't want to run out. I'd hate to have somebody have six on their car and one guy not have any. Yeah, and I think you're right. I absolutely agree with you. And the thing that I'm afraid of is that people go, you put one on their car and then they go, hey man, can I have like three of those to give to my friend, blah, blah, blah.
And I think that we run the risk of running out because people don't realize how many people are going there that day. We didn't realize. We didn't realize how many people we were going to have out there. I was talking to the police and they were saying, Mr. Isbell, how come you're shutting down the 15? I had no idea. I had no idea, sir. That's right. You're like, I don't even know who Mikey is. I don't know. Yeah. Exactly. All right, Jay. We appreciate it, man. All right, man. See you. We'll see you. That's Jay. And he looks like he's about 22 years old. Turns out he's 74. Wow. That's true. That's really strange. That's right. He's got a 62-year-old son and a 48-year-old son and a 38-year-old daughter. And a 26-year-old wife, which is... Which is really strange. That is the greatest part. So back to the Mexico thing. Yeah. We got this email from P1 America Rulsen. Why don't you guys give Sky a break with this whole Mexico thing. Thank you. It can be pretty dangerous down there. And listen.
a lot of what we're talking about here has to do with where are you emotionally, mentally, where are you in terms of things like how emotionally stable am I to go to Mexico? And how can I make a clean segue into the Dr. Phil bit? How do I do that? How do I do that? If you're going to talk to me, you're going to have to be honest. This is going to be a changing day in your life. That same kid that's always here every time I show up, sitting out there in the audience with a sombrero and a poncho on, and he's holding a chihuahua. That's weird. That is really interesting. Well, y'all, let me tell you something. I heard this person's email here. And I got some thoughts. Listen, I love Mexico. Y'all got to know that right off the bat. Oh, you do? I do. Some of my best workers are from there. No kidding. As a matter of fact, Marta, she is our live-in maid and nanny. Oh, nice. And Marta is from Mexico. She's as sweet as can be. Now, Sky, do you want people like Marta to not live in our country?
Oh, Sky. No, I've never said that. I didn't think so, and I think that's wonderful. Yeah, thank you. Because I pay her a hefty $3 a week to do what she does. $3 a week? I do not agree with that. A week? You would continue to support that, Sky. Nothing. Sky probably feels that's a little too much, but I'm gracious. I'm a giving man. I don't know about that. I can understand how people wouldn't want to go to a foreign land like me. Mexico. I understand your fears, Skye. Thank you, Dr. Phil. I once happened upon a briefcase full of cash one time, okay? Okay. I'm going to tell you this story because as I remember it now, it's just like it was yesterday. I happened upon this briefcase full of cash and then I found out that a crazed serial killer with a Dorothy Hamill haircut was chasing me down. And he finally caught up to me around the border. He flipped a coin in the air. And then he said, call it. I was frightened. I stood up to him. Dr. Phil, that's actually No Country for Old Men. That's a movie. Oh, that did sound familiar. Acting out a scene from a movie? Well, then who called me...
Well, that's, I don't know, but it's a movie that you watched. Dr. Phil. That's why I'm so vivid. Yo! I get a lot of emails like this one here in my practice, okay? You do? Yes. About Mexico? Yeah, people write to complain to me about Mexico all the time. Really? I had no idea. Well, mostly they do that because I'm the secretary at our local chapter of the KKK. What? Oh, God. Dr. Phil, don't say that. Do not say stuff like that. I'm usually sorting through our Grand Dragons letters, but that is neither here nor there. He's hitting everybody. That is neither here nor there. Okay. As they say in the Dr. Seuss books. Well, no, they don't say that. Judy Blume. Whatever. You know what made me get over my fear of Mexicans? Oh, really? What's that? Because Skye clearly has a fear of Mexicans. Skye, let me speak to you and the person that wrote this email since y'all are afraid of Mexicans. I'm not. Obviously not. You know what got me over my fear of them, Eddie? What's that? Montezuma's revenge. That got you over your fear? Well, see, Eddie, when you face your fears and laugh...
And when you turn into one of those Bellagio fountains, you know? I know exactly what you're talking about. Like every six or seven minutes, you get over stuff real quick. I don't know. I actually added to my fears, but to each their own, like you say. Did y'all know that I got my start in Mexico? Did y'all know that? You got your start in Mexico? That's right, Mexican television. Like Tela Nueva. That is correct, Eddie. Only a little bit different. Okay. I was known as Lucha Libre. You were a wrestler? Yes. You were a wrestler? You may have heard of me. Well, yeah. I was the great mustachio. Oh, here we go. I thought that was your magician name. Well, it later progressed to the magician stuff. Oh, okay. My signature move, Eddie, was the Cancun Claw. Oh, that's very clever. Which later became... The Oaxaca wedgie. That's ridiculous. Awkward. And it finally turned into the Guadalajara groin stump. Okay, that's an illegal maneuver. Mustachio, you should know that. Now, Sky, I know you're deathly terrified of Mexicans, but let me tell you. There is no reason to be terrified of Mexico. I mean, come on.
It's a nation of lawn experts. Let me, if I can, let me put it to you this way. Imagine the U.S. is a giant Home Depot. Mexico's just hanging out in the parking lot ready to work for half of what the other nations will work for. I don't know about that, Dr. Bell. Nothing wrong with that. I actually have a very special relationship with Mexico. Have I ever mentioned this to y'all? No. Through my entire childhood, my mother was always saying to me, I'm going to... That is getting a little emotional. Are you okay? This is emotional for you, Dr. Phil? Wow. You all right, buddy? I'm sorry. These memories... Yes. Here you go. Thank you very much. Oh, look at that. I dropped my microphone. My lapel mic. Pick it up. I hate it when that's... Where is that? Flip it. It's right there. It's attached to it. There it is. That's right. Now I got it back. Follow the black cord.
Anyway, my mother, she used to say to me all that this was my special connection to Mexico through my mother. She used to say to me all the time, I'm going to sell your organs on the Mexican black market. What a terrible thing to say. She was always thinking of me. Thank you all so much. I hope that helped. And I'm Dr. Phil. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. 5-3. Have you heard what Richard Roper from At The Movies with Ebert and Roper is saying about Forgetting Sarah Marshall? President Bush has allowed a bill that will allow the U.S. Border Patrol to hire a lot of agents between now and the end of the year. That's right. going to form a human wall. That's right. That's President Bush right there. Now, President Bush, now tell me exactly what you mean. How will this human wall, how will this work? You ever see that movie 300? I have seen 300, yes. You remember that human wall? Yes, the human wall that they made. Very similar. Yes, yes. We're going to do something very similar.
And so how will this work, President Bush? Well, it's going to keep all the intruders out. So you guys will just hold hands, right? Pretty much. Or are they on top of each other, whatever. That's pretty awesome. Now, if you would like to be one of these agents joining hands with other agents to keep the Mexicans out from coming into this country. Or the Canucks. Yeah. We've got a couple of borders. Yeah, you've got to realize we've got more than one border. Ashley the other day was saying, what would ever happen... If, like, Alaska invaded. Very dangerous. It's like breathing a breath of fresh air into her. You don't even know my... I picture a 64-year-old Indian woman with gray, long hair. Dead on. Long gray hair. No, you are tripping. I picture a mid-30s blonde Southern California girl in great shape. Don't tell us yet, Ash. Eddie. I picture Tracy from... Morbidly Obese. Morbidly Obese. So, Ash, who was right? Nana. Wow. You guys remember this was in Footloose? What? What scene? Oh, no, it wasn't the song. And all of the madness. Oh. I was thinking about it. Let's hear it from the boys. That's what I thought it was, too. Uh-oh. Welcome back. It's 8.05. Well, set your TiVo, B-Rob. Mariah Carey will be the mentor tonight on American Idol. Denver's Carmelo Anthony was arrested and charged with a DUI. I'm just sitting here listening to this tripping out on the fact that this used to be on the radio. This is a big hit. Yeah, it was a big hit. I was. If you want to text us, you can. Our text number is 35253. What, like, pitch is this? Like, what...
Yeah, like what is that? Is that even falsetto? Or is it like an actual like... What is the real high one called? Soprano? Uh-huh. No, falsetto. Well, I thought falsetto was a... Range? Well, what falsetto is, the way I understand it, is that falsetto is not a natural thing. That everybody that does falsetto is doing something that sounds natural but is forced. Whereas... Alto, tenor, soprano. That's their natural singing voice. Yes. But I don't think that, like, I don't think that, I think that may be that dude's voice. Oh, that's weird. I think that's his, that's the way it sounds. That's awesome. Jerry Curl. Yeah. Dude had some Jerry Curl. Welcome back. It's 8.07. Sky, tell that story that you were telling us. What? The one we were talking about right now? Come on, Sky. Hi. So... The only reason I want you to listen... Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why I wanted you to. I was so embarrassed. I think this is why I want you to tell it. Because I think that there's people that have done it. And when you tell this story, I'll tell you how I did this. Sure, I'm not the first, but I still feel like a jerk. So, you know, have bonds yesterday. Eddie, why are you already waving your head yes, that's true. I agree with what she's saying. She hasn't gotten into... You know, she hasn't really... I didn't notice that.
Well, you know that I'm a Vons Club Card member. Oh, you love Vons. And so I do all my grocery shopping at Vons. She supports Vons. Forever, yes. Forever. Well, I used to shop at Safeway back in the Bay Area, which is the parent company. I still use the Safeway Club Card at Vons. You've been going parent company on us. Thank you. Whatever. Okay. So I have Vons yesterday in the checkout line. And there is this mom and her child behind me. And this child has the most gorgeous hair I think I've ever seen. Like, the kid's probably about, I don't know, maybe eight. And the hair is so thick and full and shiny down to the waist. Like, actually, I'd say probably like an inch past. the waist. I mean, this is beautiful hair. And so I'm just trying to be friendly, and I say, oh my gosh, your daughter has the most beautiful hair I think I've ever seen on a child. And you see the child's face drop, and the mother says, oh, actually, this is my son. Oh! Oh, it is. Oh, well. And she went on to explain to me that, you know, they're Native American, and that this, yeah, and I...
Well, you wanted to die. And then I scalped him. The boy is shooting daggers at me with his eyes. He what? You just complimented him. I called him a girl. I called him a girl, Ashley. Little boys don't seem to like that too much. I learned yesterday. He was dances with wrong gender. That's right. I just apologized over and over. Apologize. You apologize. And I felt like such a jerk. But, I mean, this hair. How old is the kid? I mean, I didn't ask, but I guess somewhere between 7 and 9. That is awful. Somewhere in there. Well, I don't know. I don't know, you know, when... Rebecca's deal with Jake's hair will stop. Oh, she's growing it out. She's growing it out. And I don't think she's letting it, I don't know that she's going to let it get long in terms of length, but right now it's definitely long in terms of like, you know, he looks like he should be going, you're fired. Like shagginess. Yeah.
You know, he's got, I think it's cute, man. I really do. That's why I haven't, you know, I don't have any complaints about it. And it doesn't, to me, look feminine. It looks like very alternative rock band to me. Yeah. He's in one, right? Yeah, he just joined a band. Sick. Lemon Drops and Sandals, I heard. That's right. The band is called Lemon Drops and Sandals. That's right. He's playing bass. And he plays bass. And so he's really good. But my parents are always making these comments. You know, my mom will always say, oh, how long are you going to let this hair off? Nudge, nudge. Yeah, yeah. Nice. And what, you know, the thing is, you guys know Rebecca. Rebecca's up on what the hip thing is right now. Oh, yeah. She knows what's hip in like the kid world and she knows what's hip in terms of He dresses so much cooler than me. She knows what's up. Dude, she's got the little Hurley trucker hat with the bill straight. And she puts it on to the side. And he's real cute, man. And so she's letting his hair grow out. But all it will take is one person.
to think that he is my daughter. I'll give him a buzz cut. He'll look like a Marine that day. How would you react if you were the one in the store with me? Would you be mad at me? No, I wouldn't. Eddie, stop shaking. Eddie's shaking his head vehemently. Yes, I would. With a smile, by the way. With a smile, yes. I would not because I would say, my kid's hair's long. His hair's long. When they're little kids, they don't have the... masculine features breasts they don't have breasts yet you know but they don't have those masculine features that you can't sometimes see i think some kids do like i think your kid looks like a boy yeah i don't think your kid could ever be but if he had long hair maybe i don't know well listen we were at church a couple weeks ago and we saw this these people we saw this guy that i used to be in our growth group and i haven't seen him for about a year His wife had a baby, and she wasn't there with him. He had the baby. And I was so happy to see him. And I was like, dude, what's up? And we were like shaking hands and saying hi and everything. And he had the baby. And I go, oh, my goodness. I'm like, dude, she's beautiful. That's my son, actually. Oh, good. I'm not alone. Well, his at least was a baby. Yours was a grown person. It was a grown. It was a child. It was a child.
See, with infants, for sure, that's happened to me, too. That happens to everybody, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're fine. This guy's awful. Hair down to the waist. He has long hair. He's Native American. She didn't know. That's their bad baby. They all look the same to me. She didn't know. I wasn't buying turquoise off the boy. Shut up. I did that at an appearance. Oh, no. And it was in a movie premiere. Yeah. So I'm at the front of the theater. The theater's packed. And I was doing some trivia to give away some CDs right before. And someone had just walked in. They were eating some popcorn. And all I could see, really, because it was a little bit darker in the theater, was the haircut. And it was kind of like a spike do. So I'm thinking right away, guy. I called on the person.
for the trivia, they got it correct and they had a raspy voice. So I go, sir, you're correct. Why don't you come on down here and get your prize? And it turned out to be some older lady in her 50s. Oh, no. And everyone just burst in his stouts. And I was like, oh, my God. Hey, she looked like Kurt Warner. What was he supposed to do, you know? Seriously. That's the thing. You can't get mad because he didn't know. You know what I mean? Listen, when a chick is like 55 years old and she's wearing a flannel shirt and I'm like, She's dressed like a lumberjack? P1 Taylor says this happened to him all the time when he was a kid. Right, Taylor? Yes, I was a little boy and Taylor is an exactly most masculine name. I had white, blonde, Shirley Temple curls. It was a point that people that knew me and knew my parents would still come up and call me a girl until I was like three or four. It was horrible. She's a baby. But you don't remember that, right? Well, I'm gay now, Mike. The surgery went well. He is a gay man.
few times in the Walmart, oh, she's beautiful, and my girls and everything, and I'm too happy about you. Come on, parents, don't do that to your kids. Get my wife on the phone, Ashley. Yeah, my mom said the same thing used to happen to me and my brother. They thought you were a boy and he was a girl? No, they thought that we were twin boys. Really? Yeah, I don't remember it, but I have this curly hair, and so my parents always... They wouldn't make that mistake now, guys. Look at these. Hello. But, yeah, because my hair was curly and always get knotted, my mom used to always keep it cut really, really short. So I had this little short haircut, and me and my brother, you know, are very close in age. I looked a lot like Arnold from different strokes. So, yeah, people used to think you're... What you talking about, skinhead? Shut up. Shut up. Maybe don't wear a bra next time. Oh, I love him. You're so dumb. 570-1053. If you've ever done this, if it's been done to you, if it used to happen to you, what's the line, you know, with the whole kid thing and the hair. My wife's on the line. Hi, honey. Hi. So, hon, are you feeling any better now? Not really. A little bit. I'm really sick. My wife is sick. It's the worst. Thanks. She's sick.
At least you only got another couple weeks and it'll finally be gone. Oh, my gosh. I've already been sick for that long. Hey, honey, did you get my email about that spray? Yeah, I wrote you back. I tried it and it helped like a tiny bit, but then it didn't last. Yeah. I was just writing my doctor. I like my doctor because he has email. So I was just writing my doctor an email and hopefully he can help. Yeah, they gotta... See, you should ask Eddie, because Eddie's a doctor, but I... I'll give you an exam, Rebecca, if you want. Wait a second, that's not necessary. Not necessary, really not necessary. Of all things. I mean, that's so inappropriate. There's nothing wrong with it. I follow standard rules. You see, she follows procedure. You have a nurse in the room at all times. It's his wife, which is strange, but... So, honey, we were talking about...
Boys being mistaken for girls, girls being mistaken for boys when they're little. Yeah. So, if Jake were ever mistaken for a girl, it would be haircut time, right? Oh, no. I don't think so. Oh, no. Oh, no. Hurt, sadness, fear. Process it. Process it. He, I mean, I don't know. I think it's just because of the way he looks. He's never... been mistaken for a girl but there are other kids that we know that get mistaken all the time i just think it depends you know i i find it hard to believe that jake would get mistaken for a girl but he wouldn't possible with you know well his hair like i want it it's not if his hair is long like you want it you said
Like how long? No, no, no, no, wait. Honestly, this is the first I've ever heard of this. Honestly. Oh, no. Sweetheart. Yeah? What do you mean? What the heck do you mean? See, and I don't know if he has the kind of hair that will look cute like this, but ultimately I want it like to his shoulders. Ultimately you want it what? Like to his shoulders. Kind of like Riggins? Yeah, kind of like Riggins. Uh-huh. That's cool. She said Riggins, and it made sense. Yeah, and, you know, that's kind of a style now for little boys to have, you know, kind of that shoulder-length hair, and usually, this is why I don't know if it'll work for Jake, because usually it's a little bit wavy, like Riggins, but Jake has really straight hair, like his mom, so I don't know. We'll see, but it's kind of at a weird stage right now, but I don't know. I'm not willing to cut it yet, because I just want to see... how it grows out. Don't you love when Esther says, oh, how long are you going to let it grow, sugar digger? I know. I just, you know, it's a different time than when she was raising kids. That is true. She's like, oh, I guess kids are gay now. That's different than when we were doing it. That's fine. That's fine. Honey, I love you. I love you. Feel better. Thank you.
Oh, man. P1 Carlos. Yes, sir. You had long hair, right? Yes, sir. From when I was about a little kid to about sixth grade, I had really long, black, curly hair. When I was born, I had a head full of curly hair. So my mom wanted me to keep it. And I used to keep mistaking for a girl all the time. So what my stepdad did was he taught me to grab my crotch and shake at him. Shake it at them. That is different. I think that's what Super Nanny says to do, too. Jo Frost, I think that's what she suggests. Yeah, just take your hand and grab your crotch and shake it at them and say, do you call this a girl? Oh, my God. Appropriate. Well, yes, that certainly sounds... Good advice from Beth. There you go. Wow. Yeah, I don't know that really... That's what everybody should do. To each their own. Boston Rob, what's this? It does get quite tough, though, out of Kearney Mesa as you head up over the 52. West 94 on the King Freeway, just a minor delay here approaching the 805, making that northbound turn. The 8 Freeway is used up quite a bit, but still a bit slow from the College area. Into the 15 as you make that right turn on to the 15. And that's busy because the 15 itself is busy northbound at the city heights up through Murphy Canyon here. On West 52, a minor delay up the hill to the top of the summit. wouldn't want to be treated like a rock star thank you like and i mean none of us listening right now have ever been really treated like a rock star we're not in a giant rock band we don't know what it's like yeah but you can you can be treated like a rock star if you really want to all you got to do is become part owner of the hard rock downtown and it's easy you get one of the suites yeah you become an owner of one of the suites you go that room say 421 that's me how about 420 I'm cool with that, too. Okay, okay. 420, that room right there. Probably already taken. That's sweet. Yeah. I own it. Okay. That's my suite. Okay. And I'll let the hard rock rent it out for, you know, make some money, do whatever, because, you know. So you make money when you're not using it. Yeah, absolutely. And then every once in a while, I feel like, you know what, I feel like taking a vacation in my own town. You're not just, you know, going to go to some hotel and just stay there and, you know, get okay service. No, they'll treat you like a rock star. You go into a VIP check-in area. They got a comp bar right there. Say, what do you want to drink? I say, I want a Tanqueray and Tonic. Bam, there it is. Well, how much do I owe you? Nothing. Yeah, that sounds vaguely familiar. Yeah, it's free. They say, you want dinner tonight? Where do you want to eat? No, boo. Okay, boom. Front of the line. Don't even have to wait. Wow. You want to go to the club? But there's a huge line. I don't want to wait in that line. You don't have to. You're an owner. We take care of you here.
We love you at the Hard Rock. Wow. And that's all you got to do. Check into it. It's the Hard Rock Hotel, downtown San Diego. Mikey Show. Within another classic Mikey moment. I got a back Eddie on Enchanted. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I don't need this. Who wants some man meat? See? What was your favorite part? Well, the scene where she's... Cleaning the house and all the animals. Oh, my God. Was that not awesome? I swear to God. I personally like the song when they're going through Central Park and everybody joins in. Oh, yeah. That was awesome. Hell, yeah. Do you like that one, Taylor? That has never been said in a sentence. Ever. About Enchanted. That has never been said. They should put that as part of the reviews on their movie poster. He from the Mikey Show says, hell, yeah. Now back to the Mikey Show. Rock 105.3. We're supposed to be friends, man. We all be friends. That's why we eat good food. Get out of my business. Did she try it, Eddie? No. She still won't do it? No. Let me see that bite. This is a good bite. We're friends. That's a very meaty bite. There's meat. Skye. What is it? Like meat is bad? You don't like meat? Meat is murder, she says all the time. She's always just screaming meat is murder. It's creeping me out. It's creeping me out. What is creeping you out? What kind of meat is that? It's shepherd's pie, Skye. It's ground beef. If you don't like it, I will not bother you.
Oh, don't take that. If you take a tiny bit of it, you're not going to get it. She does this thing where she's like biting a fingernail. Like she's biting a hangnail on her finger. Yes, put the whole thing in your mouth. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? Trust me. Just trust me. No, I want a good ratio. No. Her ratio? What does that have to do with anything? That guy's on Saturday Night Live. Come on. I'll be your good friend. I'm starting to not want to be. He hates you right now. Please. Fix it. Everyone, just calm down. Okay, here we go. If you don't take a full bite, then you're not going to get the full flavor. What's that yellow thing? Corn? No, that's not a piece of corn. Cheese, probably. There's cheese on top of the potatoes. I'm going to eat this. Let me do it. I ate that whole thing you brought me. It's good. Yeah, you ate some weird stuff, man. Zep just took a bite. He liked it, too. That's cool. Yeah, he hasn't eaten in like three days. Okay. That's a good bite. She likes it. It's good.
It's not bad. That's pretty good in her world. That is, yeah. What's the problem? Well, there's too much meat in it. The ratio's off. What do you mean? You keep mentioning David Caruso's character from CSI Miami. I need more potato and less meat. What are you talking about? That makes no sense. You need more mashed potato and less ground beef. Thank you. That doesn't affect the flavor, though. But it was good, right? Oh, my God. I don't think I'd ever order it. What? Nothing against Eddie. It's just the dish itself. It's going to get cold. Just put it in your mouth. Stop dancing, Skye. Dancing around with the spoon. It turns out that the mom who was shot by the off-duty police officer was drunk and tested positive for weed at the time of the shooting. I'm angry. Deuce McAllister works out a deal to remain with the New Orleans Saints.
You don't tell me how to eat mine. 35253. If you want to text us, I will get to this Herschel Walker stuff. I promise I'm going to get to the Herschel Walker stuff. I would like to do Ask Mikey. We do this segment called Ask Mikey. Do not get into the industry. I'm no psychologist. What you're asking for right now is the health and well-being of your daughter. Pray about it. It's time. But we all have a job to do. To Ask Mikey. This is mine. Yeah, I have this passion for Jesus Christ. I'm a born-again Christian. What else about me? I'm a recovering alcoholic. I dropped out of high school. What else about me? I'm an airplane pilot. I'm a skydiver. You're a Republican? No, I'm not an airplane pilot or a skydiver, but Sky's right. I'm a Republican. I'm a conservative. Father. I'm a father. I'm 37. I'm married.
Former U.S. Senator. I'm a former U.S. Senator. What state? Wisconsin. Wow. Duh. That's right. I was elected in La Crosse. What? Where? La Crosse, Wisconsin. Oh, La Crosse. No, I'm not a former Senator. But I, you know, and I, I'll tell you what, I read a lot. I read a lot and I'm really into psychology. And so we do this segment called Ask Mikey. And this is where you call, you got something going on in your life. And you go, I would like to see what Mikey's take on that is. You don't have to buy it. It's free. So you don't have to pay for it. No Michael policy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, imagine, dude. Oh, like the Saturn. Exactly, like the Saturn. Nice. Ashley just learned that yesterday. Nice. But imagine if somebody were to deliver a pizza to your house and you open the box up. Yeah. And you look on there and you go, you know what? Not for me. It's covered in mackerel. You go, you know what? Mackerel pizza, not really my thing. Is it smoked mackerel? Maybe it is smoked mackerel. I want that. You want a bite, right? I want a bite. I want a bite. I want a bite. I want a bite. Well, the deal is, is that you look at the pizza, you go, you know what? That's not for me. Maybe you even take a bite and you go, hmm, it looked delicious, but I just tried it. It's not for me. Oh, I know what that's like. Sky, don't you take this opportunity.
Because I know you like it. Eddie, she didn't like it. She loved it. I did not. She loved it. I don't know that she loved it, but she liked it. She liked the flavors. I didn't dislike it, I said. She liked it a lot. I didn't dislike it. Very underwhelming response, Skye. That's all we're saying. It's annoying. You forced me to eat it. You could just say, you know what? That's not bad. I liked it. And then we would be done. I told you you would have liked it. You know I never BS you, Scott. It's like calling in for Ask Mikey. You know what you're getting with me. You know what you're getting. I mean, why are you shocked? Why are you shocked here, bro? I'm not shocked. I'm annoyed. Underwhelmed. I'm underwhelmed. You know what it is, though? She gave us hope when she had that fish taco because she liked it so much. I did enjoy that. It gave us hope. We thought, you know what? We can get this girl. We'll feed her other things that are normal. And she'll go, ooh, that's delicious. I want to eat that again. You've changed my life for the better. That's right. My life has been improved. That's a little extreme. So, before we get into the advice segment called Ask Mikey, I need to make it very clear. I'm not a psychologist. I'm not a psychiatrist. I have never gone to school for these things. In fact, I'm a high school dropout. I only got my GED. But I consider myself a smart guy.
Pretty articulate. I take your advice over Dr. Phil's any day. Well, that's not very nice. Sorry, Dr. Phil. No offense. Did I mention I used to screen all of the letters for the Grand Dragon for my local chapter? That's not cool to say. All right, let's take some calls. P1 Julie, are you there? Yes, I am. What's your question? My question, Mikey, is I'm a recovering alcoholic, and my ex-husband and I got divorced. He got custody of the children. My son is 18, so I'm not really worried about him. My daughter is 10, going to be 11, just about hitting that puberty stage. She spends the school year with him, and she spends the summer with me. What I'd like to know is how do I approach the subject with him, especially since we are not on speaking terms, hardly at all, that I want her to start coming to live with me permanently. Why?
She's really not happy there with her brother and her father and no females, especially since she's starting the puberty thing. And she really enjoys being with me and my mother. Well, there's a couple things. A couple things pop into my head. Number one, it would probably be a good idea for you to really do your best, even if it means humbling yourself, to try to get on good terms with the dude, the ex. Even if it means humbling yourself, it would probably be a good idea. Even if you have to swallow your pride and take some things that you don't want to have to be accountable for and be accountable. You know what I mean? Like some things that maybe you know, okay, I might have been guilty in that. And you don't want to necessarily admit it. But you do for the sake of your daughter. Because if you guys can get along during this, it'll help. Okay? So that's one school of thought is to really try. And maybe your thing is, well, you don't understand, Mikey. He's such a hard head and he's such a jerk. Maybe he is. But a good dose of humility goes a long way. So that's the first thing, my first thought. My second thought is because of my Christian background, I have this analogy. You ready for this analogy? Absolutely. Okay, take the phone company Motorola. They make a cell phone, right?
Yeah. Okay. Now, you got this cell phone. And let's say that Mr. Motorola guy, he goes into the boardroom and he pulls down this big old poster. And he says, look at this design that I have for this brand new cell phone. This cell phone is going to do everything. It's going to take pictures. It's going to make phone calls. It's going to do text messages. It's going to revolutionize the entire cell phone world. It's awesome. And so he's got it all drawn out and he sends it to the manufacturer. And the manufacturer gets it. And they put it together. And they solder all the wires. And they stick it in a nice pretty box. And they deliver it to the consumer. And the consumer gets it. And they got that great box. And they unwrap that great box. And they take the cell phone out of there. And the first thing they want to do, they want to plug it into their computer and download games and put all kinds of cool stuff on there. And they got ringtones now. And it's really awesome. And they decide, hey, I'm going to text a message to my friends. They open it up and they text messages. Hey, what's up? Press send. Nothing. Hey, what's up? Press send. Nothing. They go, oh, man, something is up here. So they break out the owner's manual. They go through there for the troubleshooting. It says, you know what? Power it down. And when you turn it back on, hold the send button at the same time you're pressing the power button. You do that. And what do you know? You go, hey, man, what's up in the text message? Press send. And there it goes. Okay. In my analogy, this is just something I came up with. So it may be worth something to you. Maybe it isn't. If you don't like it, you just throw it out. But if you like it, you go, okay, maybe I'll apply that.
In my analogy, God is Mr. Motorola and he designed this perfect thing called people. And then he gave it to our parents and our parents soldered all the stuff together and installed who we are. Half by their behavior and half of the stuff that they taught us and we consumed. And then what we did with ourselves was we put ourselves out into the world and we download all this stuff into ourselves. We consume a bunch of stuff. And what happens next? is that sometimes it's all screwed up. And so in my life, what I've learned to do is I take out my owner's manual. I got a real good one that's real easy to read, and it's a Bible. And everything is in there. Gnarly stuff is in there. Stuff about sex, sodomy, all the craziest, weirdest stuff that you would never think is in there is actually in there. Stuff about divorce, stuff about every issue that's going on in somebody's life is actually in there. And so I fix it that way. Now, the point that I was getting to with the divorce deal is that God doesn't intend for us to get a divorce. And that's okay that you did. It doesn't make you a bad person. See, he's got a whole bunch of rules for us. And if we live by the rules and follow the rules, then life is usually blessed. But if we don't and we go our own way, we're on our own. Now, I'm not saying, oh, you're bad or nothing. It's not that. I promise you. Please hear the sincerity in my voice, everybody that's listening right now. This is not about.
Anybody's bad or wrong or da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. All I'm saying is that sometimes, and I do it, man. I go my own way daily. I go my own way. Trust me. I got a whole bunch of rules in front of me. I go my way, and I usually pay the price for it. But when I change it, when I actually say to my friend Sky, who I dearly love, when I actually say to Sky, Sky, your needs got to come before my needs. And when I say to Eddie, dude, I'm sorry, man. I shouldn't have done that. holy cow does life change. Life is better when I do it the way, not my selfishness and what I want. When I do what God actually wants me to do, it's like a car that's got a tune-up. So that's part of what's happening, I think, maybe with this deal. Got a little tangenty there. I liked it. But basically what I'm saying to you is, is that if you can somehow figure out a way to get things good with the ex, You can probably hit him up with this idea of, hey, listen, she's getting her period. She's starting to get boobs. And she really would feel comfortable being with mom. Who knows? It may be a situation where he goes, oh, thank goodness. This period stuff is driving me nuts. I don't know what to do with it. It's just an idea. But it will take on your part a little bit of humility where you'll have to go, I'm sorry I did whatever. You know what I'm saying?
Yeah. So, anyway, that's my advice. Thank you, Julie. I appreciate it. P1 Ryan. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? What's up, man? So, I've been in the military about, I'd say, six years. I went to go take the weight exam for the military, and, well, I didn't get to take it. I got to get out in about six, seven months, and I don't know what we should do. I love my country. I love serving my country. It was fun. I loved what I've done. I don't know what to do. I only know the military and kind of curious what you think. I'm thinking about going back to school, trying to get into radio, broadcasting, stuff like that. Oh, wow. I really want to. I listen to your show. I moved here. I was in Washington, lived in Detroit, lived in Orange County. And all I've ever listened to is talk radio. I hate the regular radio station, you know, 90% of the time. But I'm in the military, and it's just, you don't do that. How old are you? About to be 27 in May. You married? Yes, with three kids. Oh, dude. Yeah. No, no, no, no, no, no. Let me tell you, I'm going to be really straight with you and honest, and I want to hear what Eddie and Sky, I know this is Ask Mikey, but I really want to hear what Eddie and Sky think of this, but I'm going to tell you that being in radio is not for a man that's married with kids when you're trying to start.
I think that radio is something for a young man that's hungry, that doesn't have a lot of responsibilities. And, you know, somebody like Zeth, radio is perfect to get into. He doesn't have kids that he has to provide for because you're not going to make money. Eddie, what do you think? I agree with you. I mean, it's a very difficult industry to break into. You really have to work your way up to get to a point where you're actually making money where you could support a family. So, I mean, if it's your dream, if it's something that you have to do, you know, there are ways of going about it. You're just not going to make a lot of money. And, you know, eventually you will. And if you have the passion for it and the talent for it, you'll make money in this business. It just takes time. Yeah. Skye, what do you think? Yeah, I agree with everything you guys said. I think, you know, lots of people are under the misconception that if you get into radio, you're, like, going to be rich and make money. And that is so opposite. You know, yeah, it's a really fun job, but no, you know, lots of people in radio work second jobs. And if you've got kids, I agree with everything they're saying. Get yourself a nice, stable job that makes a good salary, good benefits. And then take classes at junior college to learn about radio and maybe start your own internet radio show. And who knows? I mean, maybe eventually, like, that stuff can take off and you won't need that primary job.
But you've got to provide for your family first, in my opinion. It's all about sacrifice. Like, you might get your wife. Maybe you and your wife make the decision that this is your passion in life. And so she will take on a job while you're doing this thing in radio that's not making you very much money. It's all about what you guys decide you're willing to do for you to chase that thing. Yeah, I completely agree that I've heard you guys saying in the past, I've heard other people with Tom Likas, people like that, say in the past that... Radio, you can't make money. Put it for a guy like me that I'm just like you. I don't have a GED. I have my high school diploma. I have no college. My choices in San Diego is to work at the shipyard or to work on a thug. I mean... Well, what about the Border Patrol? I mean, they have great salary, great benefits. You already have the military background. I'm going to put it to you this way, Skye. Spend five years waiting, five, six years waiting tables, and then... Finally, you can leave waiting tables to wait tables. Standing gay guard, standing security is not something I... Oh, yeah, I thought... And that's the thing, man. Like, you know, I think Sky's kind of got a good point in that... Because you said you love your country. You love serving your country. Dude, there's a lot of stuff that you could be doing. And I didn't know anything about that Border Patrol stuff until I started talking to those agents. And I realized, dude, it ain't about sitting in a...
in a truck watching for Mexicans coming over the border. That's not what it is. I mean, those dudes are on ATV patrols. They're doing infrared stuff. They can travel out of the country. There's a lot involved in it. It's exciting. Anyway, you know, thank you, man. I appreciate it. Let's do one more call and then we got to take a break because we're getting late. If you'd like to make a call, please try again. That's your question? Or is that... I don't understand what you're saying. He went, meh, meh, meh. I love you guys. Hey, Mikey, I love the show, dude. I'm a Christian also, or at least trying to be in the world. My question to you is, how do you stay a Christian in a non-Christian world? That's a good question. That's a good question, dude. Thank you. How do you stay Christian in a Christian world? You do your thing, and everybody does their thing, and you're all good to go.
That's the answer. That's a simple one. It's a good question. But how do you stay Christian in a non-Christian world is you don't have to change anybody. You don't have to. In fact, you can't. You can't change anybody. All you can do is be a, all you can do is the best you can possibly be at going, I'm a Christian and so I hope you like it. That's it. You don't go, it's not your job to save people and do all that stuff. What I can do is I can tell you what God's done in my life. He's done a lot of really awesome stuff. Dude, I got to tell you, I used to be the most selfish. This stuff that I'm talking about was not Sky's deal. It wasn't Eddie's deal. It was me. I was the one that had a problem. I was the one that was selfish, self-absorbed. angry, I was the one that had those issues. And I finally, through Jesus Christ, through reading my owner's manual, went, I'm doing this all wrong. Like, this whole thing's wrong. I got it all wrong. And I finally had to go to them and go, hey, guys, I got it wrong. And I'm telling you, everything changed. Everything changed. I'm in love with these guys, not to sound gay, not to sound gay, but...

Did you hear that Larry King had Stephen Colbert on? Now, Stephen Colbert...
plays a liberal, right? He plays a conservative. Yes. And he's super sarcastic, right? Yes. I think it's really funny. Oh, it is. It is pretty funny. Even as a conservative, I think it's pretty funny. And so I wanted to play you some of that stuff, give you some of the audio from it. And what's really funny is Larry King doesn't get it. That's great. Well, I mean, in general, you know, he's just like when... He knows that Stephen Colbert is like this fictitious character and everything, but he doesn't get jokes sometimes, I think, because he's not the hippest guy in the room. He was having a tough time last night. Cut 13. Give me your assessment of Barack Obama, where he's come from, what he's done, what he's accomplished. He's a political phenomenon. Absolutely. He's an aspiring candidate. And he's got the young people out there just eating out of the palm of his hand. He's passing his hope thong. Around the drum circle of young America. His what? His hope bong, Larry. What is that? He's inviting people to take deep cokes off of his bong packed with hope. I think that's a joke. Okay, all right. Change. Change. We'll be right back. Stephen Colbert. Wow. Oh, my gosh. Like, you know, people are dying laughing at both things. Yeah.
Colbert's funny and Larry King doesn't get it. That's great. At all. How does he not know what a bong is? So brutal. Oh, he's 105. Cut 14. Well, certainly the Republican candidate has faced some tough challenges in his life. John McCain, absolutely. He was there for Noah's flood. Had to cling on. That's how he got started in the Navy, was clinging on to the side of the ark. He's old, Larry. Keep that up. Keep it up. That's funny, man. Here, Larry King showcases some of his own improv skills. Cut 15. I almost endorsed Chris Matthews for the Senate tonight, because I had him on the show, and I nailed him. On the fact that he's probably running for Senate in 2010 in our inspector's seat. You know about that, right? He very well could. Absolutely. Well, I'd call what he did tonight on my show. Check it out, America. I'd call that an announcement. And if he did announce on my show, I would endorse him. What did he say? He said his childhood dream was to be a senator. That's as good as running. I would say it's as good as running, too. My childhood dream was to fly on a unicorn.
My childhood dream was to do just what I'm doing. Really? Congratulations. Thank you. That's a good one, Larry. Oh, man. That's so crazy. Do you think that, like, one of the networks will offer them a sitcom because their chemistry is so good? Absolutely. Totally. Because they have such good chemistry. Well, it's undeniable. Well, yeah, it's really cool when you see people, like, feed off each other. It's what they call a riff. Yeah, yeah, they really riff well together. It's really natural. No. Film a pilot. It's the opposite of the odd couple, the even couple. Yes. There it is. It's going to be great. Sounds good. All right, so I've been promising to get to this Herschel Walker stuff. Oh, man. This is really strange stuff. Who's Herschel Walker? Herschel Walker. Former football player who was, you know, in his day, was a pretty good running back. He was good. Big name. When was his day? Early 80s, like 82, 83. No. 83 had to have been his. Herschel Walker? Yeah. Keep guessing.
Let's Google. No, it's got to be like 88, something like that. No! Yeah, 95. I'm going to stick with my... Who'd he play for? Early 80s. He was with the Cowboys and got a big... He was with the Vikings. Okay. A couple other things. All right, here we go. Herschel Walker. His college career was from 1980 to 1982. He went in the USFL in 1983. Yeah, that wasn't his heyday. So he was in the 80s. Yeah, late 80s. He was in the 80s. See, this is what I remember Herschel Walker most for. Was when he was at Georgia and he was breaking all the records. And then instead of going into the NFL, he went into the USFL. He played for this team called the New Jersey Generals. And he was really, really good when he played for the New Jersey Generals. Then he went to the NFL and he was really good. He played for the Cowboys.
That's right. Then he got a big trade with the Vikings where they basically gave up everything. And then he finished the squirrel with the Eagles, I believe. Now, this is the deal. He was like a Mack truck, right? Yeah, he had some speed, though, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But his thing is he would bowl over dudes. Like, he couldn't bring the guy down. Couldn't tackle the guy. He was so good. And he was. He was really fast. He was super fast. And so he was this incredible athlete. When he left the NFL, I remember thinking, oh, man, it's going to be a real bummer. I really like watching him play. He was a fun guy to watch play. But this is his ex-wife talking about what happened to him because of his disassociative identity disorder. Now, what is that, Eddie? Well, they're now calling it that, but it's multiple personality disorder. It's now this new thing called DID. Which is whatever. Dissociative identity disorder. So it's all that is. It's multiple personalities. Cut 23. Shortly after retiring from football. Walker descended into mental mayhem. First thing I thought was. He had the devil in him or something. Cindy Grossman was Walker's college sweetheart. And his wife for 16 years. I saw voice changes. He would say things like he didn't know who I was. His own wife.
It's hard to explain. Even his physical countenance would change. There were bursts of anger and flashes of rage. We were talking, and the next thing I knew, he just, he got a gun, and he put it to my temple. He put the gun right to your temple. What did he say? I'm going to blow your effing brains out. Whoa! Whoa! I wonder if he did it. I don't think he did it. I don't know. It's just a guess. It's like a cliffhanger. You've got to watch the next episode and then you find out what actually... It's the next season. So here is Herschel Walker explaining his reaction to hearing that he had done that. Cut 24. The incident with your ex-wife and the gun. First time you're talking about it publicly. You say you don't remember it at all. When you were told that you did this, what was your reaction? Well, I was ashamed. I was disappointed in myself. You know, I wasn't raised, and I wasn't raised like that. And that's when I knew I had a problem. You know, there was bits and times when I think back over certain things, and I knew there was something wrong. What made you think that there was something wrong? Well, I don't know, the gun to her temper. I really got anger in the sense that it was really to hurt someone. And, you know, like I said, I wasn't raised like that. I knew that, you know, that's not what I wanted, and that's not what I wanted to do. But yet, you know, it was almost uncontrollable.
And at that time there, you realize that something is wrong. You know, and I don't know whether, I said, sometimes you bring different hats into the arena. And my hat, a competing, may have rolled over into my home life, into my personal life. And I don't think that was the right hat to have on at the time. A lot of people thought Britney Spears had DID. Yeah. The different personality. Because she would talk like an English person every once in a while. I don't know if she still does. This is him talking about how he thinks that there's other people, like celebrities, that have it, 25. Well, the help that I receive is just to acknowledge and to know that that's what it was. I don't know what was going on. You know, the title of this book was going to be Dr. In My Crazy. Because at one time I thought I may be going crazy. That was going to be the title of the book. Dr. In My Crazy. I like that one better. Then I realized that it wasn't that. It was a coping mechanism. And I said for athletes, you know, there's a lot of athletes out there. And, you know, I'm not going to call them out. I'm not here to call anyone out. But there's a lot of entertainers. And I said, guys, if something's not going right in your life,
Check this out because, you know, the social disorder has a lot to it. You know, it can have overeating, it can have drug abuse, it can have alcohol abuse. So if you got a problem, you may need to check it out and see what's going on. I'm going to tell you something. We considered a few different names for the book. One name I considered for like five, ten minutes was, man, we got to get the heck up out of this place. I wanted to just call it bonkers. That's right. We consider bonkers. Nice. And then we're like, I don't know. It's not that catchy. Not catchy enough. That's crazy. And then we was like, whoa, I did what was a name we considered for a little while. Quick time out. If you want to text us, 35253 is the text number. We made a gigantic announcement. earlier that we're going to be doing another sticker stop at Qualcomm on May the 10th. So I want to give you those details again if you missed it. It's going to be ginormous. Back after this.

Speaking of UFC, I'm probably going to have some people over for the big fights this Saturday. And I'm thinking, well, I should probably cook some food. What's a quick, easy, delicious thing I can make for multiple people? I know. Johnsonville Brats. Dude, yes, delicious. It is like a little taste of heaven. And I really enjoy this weather because it's grilling weather. I love...
Cracking open my barbecue and a delicious thing to grill is a Johnsonville brat. It is like nothing you've ever had before. If you've never had a brat before, you know, I don't know what to say to you. It's just bizarre to me because, you know, you could say, oh, yeah, I've had hot dogs before, Eddie. No, no, no. It's not a hot dog. It is a brat. It is a whole different flavor. Do you put it on a hot dog bun? You can, yeah. With the condiments? Yes. I personally, brats are so flavorful. I don't want to put anything on it because it masks the flavor of the brat. Like if you put ketchup on it, I'm like, I taste ketchup. Now, Rob kept talking the other day about boiling it in beer. Yeah, you can do that. You can cook it that way too. That is a definite specific way you can cook bratwurst. But for me, a Johnsonville brat is best and the most flavorful on that grill because you get that smokiness. You get so much juiciness to it. It is the best thing in the world. If you don't know what you want to cook for dinner tonight or you're thinking about having some people over this weekend for a cookout, go to the grocery store right now. Head back to that meat section, the fresh meat section. Don't go to the frozen food. Get the fresh meat section. You'll see packets of Johnsonville brats and get one today. Hey, I'm going to AM, PM. What do you want? I'll take two hot dogs, king size M&Ms, a newspaper, four bags of Doritos.
a disposable camera, chewing gum, a cup of coffee, and some beef jerky? It's not a bit much. A bit much? A bit much like the swimsuit edition or the twist-off beer cap? Uh... Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 920. Pope Benedict is flying into Washington today where the president will meet him at the airport. The revenge will be on the minds of the Padres tonight as they welcome the Rockies into town tonight at Petco Park. I watched portions of Star Wars Episode IV, A New Hope in High Definition on TBS over the weekend, Eddie. It looked really good. It looks great. Really? Yes. Are you sure it was TBS? Maybe not. Spike. Yes. Did you watch it? Of course. So anytime it's on TV, you will watch it. Absolutely. Even with commercials? You know, I'll flip back and forth. I watched a lot of the Masters this weekend, so I'd flip back and forth. But Spike was running this marathon of all the episodes. Wow. It was the scene where... The scene? You didn't watch the whole thing? I didn't. Well, I came in the middle of it. You watched it to the end, right? Yes.
Was not able to. There was a fire next door. I had to save some babies. Forget it. Who cares? It was unreported. It was just a tragedy. Because you handled it? I handled it, yeah. I handled it. It was the scene where Obi-Wan was saying, try it again, Luke, only this time... With the glass shield down. With the glass shield down. Get it right! It's not the glass shield. It's not the glass shield. It's the blast shield down. This time, take off your Adidas. Oh my God, it works. Let's go to Cloud City. You know what I'm saying? I'm Lando Calrissian. I think that they should redo Star Wars with, like, Chris Rock as Lando Calrissian. Make it serious. Like, make it serious, but just have new actors. Know what I'm saying? What are you doing right now, dude? What if Eddie could cast it? Eddie, who would you cast as different people if you had to recast Star Wars? I don't want to. I don't want to play this game. Who'd be cool enough? No one. For who? A modern day Mark Hamill. A modern day Mark Hamill. Who would you recast now as Luke Skywalker? He can't even be open for discussion. I think it upsets him because...
I think it upsets him because the movie means too much to him to recast. It's perfect. Why would I want to redo perfection? It's perfect in its form. Why would you ever visit it again? It's already been done to perfection. It's an interesting question. All right, I got another one for you then. Who would win in a battle between the Thing and the Hulk? A fight? Yeah, a fight. That's easy. The Thing? No. He can't be hurt. He's made of stone. Yes, he can. How? Stone is not indestructible. But it's stone. The Hulk will win easily. Why? He's stronger. And the Hulk's skin is equally as strong as the thing's... He's a hothead. That is true. That is true. But yeah, the Hulk is stronger. How do you know he's strong? Was there an arm wrestling competition? No, there's been several studies done. What if they were arm wrestling? It'd be a good match. You believe the Hulk would win? The Hulk would win. He's physically stronger. I think that the thing, he's made of solid rock. How can you lose? It's heavy. Let me give you a little history lesson. It was a Marvel RPG.
What is that? Role playing game. RPG? RPG role playing game. Like a safe word? Palomino. I thought RPG was a real pregnant girl. That's after you do the role playing. Do you want to have a conversation about this? I do, I do. And they assigned each character different attributes to their abilities. Whether or not their speed was... You go 1 through 10. The Hulk's speed would be small. It would be like a 2. But his strength would be like a 9. You understand what I'm saying? And the thing would be like an 8 or a 7. So I know for a fact the Hulk was stronger. So whoever made up that nerdy game... It's their opinion. Wait a second. What community? The Marvel community? You just upset the RTD community, Sky. Sorry, RTD too. So that dude decided. So that dude decided and set history. I mean, I was open to having a conversation. Yeah, I mean, it was a good question, Mike. Did you play the RPGs, Sean? I'm not going to dignify that with an answer. That means yes. Of course he did, and why would you even ask?
Well, I will say right up front, I do not know as much about this as Eddie does or Sean. I would have said The Thing would win because he's made of solid rock. It's heavy. He would be able to use the girth of his solid rock arm to pull the Hulk over in an arm wrestling match. You'd be wrong. Plus, I think The Thing has good technique. I think that The Hulk is just a hothead. He's just all over. He's like... It would be one burst. Boom. Hulk nailed him. He'd probably tear his arm off. I think there's too much David Banner inside the Hulk. Well, it depends which Hulk you're talking about, Mike. Or Bruce Banner. Yeah. David Banner's a rapper. That's who I was talking about. I thought that's who the Hulk was. I thought that's who the Hulk was. Really good. He was a rapper. He does go off. P1 Kevin can shed some light on this. Go ahead, Kevin. I've been waiting. The Hulk has almost infinite power. His power is derived on how angry he gets. Wait, wait. Hang on a second. Hang on a second. I have to pull a curtain back here just a little bit. I think it's unnecessary that when Boston Rob is screening phone calls for him to write up on my screen for this caller, wicked nerd. I don't think it's necessary that he say...
He can help answer this question. And then in parentheses put, wicked nid. Sorry we're not all cool and only know about one thing, the Red Sox. That is funny. Thank you, Kevin. I appreciated your input. All the talented people over here. Typing out loud. Typing out loud. Feels good to be laughed at, eh, Sean? We're laughing with you. I'm not laughing. No. Oh, my bad. This is P1 Guy from Illinois. He read a lot of comics. He would like to shed some light on this as well. He knows. Let's talk to him. It's P1 Guy from Illinois. Are you there? Yeah, what's going on? Not too much. Go ahead. How do you answer this? Okay, well, the Hulk, he is the madder he gets, the stronger he gets, and he could basically beat anybody. There's actually a new comic out where he fights pretty much everyone in the Marvel Universe. Beating the hell out of everybody. Even that new Iron Man. What about other universes? Yeah, Mike, I bet you were thinking what? He can beat Thor? Yeah, you can. Yeah, totally. Exactly. I know you were thinking that. That's right. What about He-Man? Ah, well... Not in Marvel. That was a good one, Mike. The only thing I know is... Stretch Armstrong. Everyone was wondering. What? Just stop. Thank you for the call. What about Gumby? No problem.
Skye. Gumby's not strong, Skye. But he's flexible. Yeah, but he's not strong. He's like elusive. He's elusive. We're on the heels of the release of Iron Man. Why do they want to engage if they don't care? They just want to make fun. We're trying to be a part. We want to be a part of it. Be mean to someone else. We're on the heels of the release of Iron Man. What about Popeye? What about Popeye? Arm wrestling match between Popeye and... That's a legitimate... After he's had spinach. Spinach. Yes, after he had the spinach. It's a legitimate question. It's a very legitimate question. Go. Eddie? You're not going to go, but you're not going to... Okay, let me give you another one. Okay. Okay, Popeye before spinach and Ryan Seacrest. Oh, that's a good one. Popeye? Popeye. Before spinach? Yeah. Anyone can be a sailor. Dude, it's all looks before that. Dude. See those forearms? Okay, fine. What about the chick that played Vera? On Alice and Seacrest. Vera? Vera, for sure. Do you see when she rips open those straws? Seacrest couldn't do that. What if he gave Seacrest a hammer? Well, these are all very... Forest hammer? That's right. They're very important questions. Yeah, you're right, Sean. John Carpenter's The Thing versus The Predator.
predator. Why? He's more skilled at combat. The thing will just absorb you. Yeah, but the thing, or the predator that's skilled at combat has no idea that the thing is actually like a wolf. And the predator's not even after the wolf. Yeah, he does. He's probably got equipment that shows what, if he's got infrared equipment to show what's warm-blooded and all that, he'll figure it out. The predator has infrared stuff? Yes. Oh, yeah. Is he like a person? Or I thought he was like an alien. He is, but he's a... Smart one? With gadgets? They're technologically very advanced. The Predator beat Alien from Aliens. Yeah. Who wins in an arm wrestling match? Ryan Seacrest or Richard Simmons? That's a legitimate question. I'm sure Richard Simmons. Is he so fit? No, no, no. I disagree. Afro power. Oh, my God. I disagree. How about in a kiss fight? You want to go? You want to go? Why don't you put your lips where your mouth is, all right? Because guess what? Your lips are writing messages that your mouth can't afford. Your lips are where your mouth is. Speaking of gay. Our text number is 35253. Okay. Arm wrestling. Al Roker versus the actor that played Benson. Robert Guillaume. Robert Guillaume. Well, Roker's got a lot of weight. So he could put his shoulder into it and forget it, it's over. I'm going to have to go Roker. I'm going to snap him.
570-1053. You guys did not say Seacrest for any one of those that I put up. Ryan Seacrest versus Ron Popeil. Come on. Popeil? That guy is awesome. Okay, the Jonas Brothers. Actually, just I am me. Ryan Seacrest versus Terry Shivers. Hey, check this out. Did you know that a just-completed survey of AIS clients shows an average savings of $850 per year? I'm McLaurin's on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show. Hey. Hey. I never, ever get through, and I'm up early enough today to finally get through. I wanted to tell Mikey about Sleep Train. I got a deal there that will be anything I've ever heard on the radio, ever. You're the best. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, dude. Sleep Train's great. What did you get? What kind of mattress? Okay, Simmons Beauty Rest. Isn't that what you have, Sky? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Simmons Beautyrest. It was a $6,000 mattress they gave to me for half price. Whoa. That's awesome. And they threw in pillows, a sheet set, a bed frame, and a mattress pad. Word. What? For free. That's the way it goes at Sleep Train. That's true. Oh, I bet it's so freaking comfortable. Like a cloud. Oh, I want it.
But yeah, it's a Simmons Beautyrest. They even broke down the difference between the best ones and the lower end ones. And I guess the only thing better is what you got is a Stearns and Foster. I love it. But California King Ultra Soft, it was $59.95. They gave it to me for $29.95 and gave me everything I just said free. Everything. A 600 thread count sheet set for free. You're awesome. Thank you for calling. Okay. The show continues featuring Mikey. I'm very attracted to intelligent women. Eddie. I think that mine is the best in the world. Sky. I prefer sorbet over ice cream. Sean. I enjoy horror films, and they are a requirement of my religion. Boston Rob. Hey, I'm not Boston. B-Rob the Majestical. And Ashley. I have abnormally strong hands. The Mikey Show's on. All right, game 5-3.
The same day that Mayor Sanders presented a budget that would cut 130 jobs, the city council voted to give him and themselves raises. The Atlanta Hawks have earned a playoff berth for the first time since 1999. Is that the team? Is the Atlanta Hawks the team that had the tiniest guy in the NBA at one time on their team? Bud Webb? Yeah. Yes. And then, who did Hakeem Olajuwon, who does he play for? The Houston Rockets? He played for the Rockets. He played for the Rock. He doesn't play anymore. Who was the tallest guy ever? Manute Bull? Yeah. And he was 14 feet 7 inches tall, if I remember correctly. That is correct. 14'7". He was the tallest man ever. And Spud Webb was 1 foot 2 inches tall. And was able to dunk. Guy was able to dunk. Which was an amazing feat for him. Big fan of the NBA, huh? I'm a big fan of the NBA, and so I know all of these facts. You sure do. Yep. I remember that Manute Bull, just to show off how powerful and strong he was, he used to eat four basketballs before he ever even went out onto the court. He would take the basketballs. I never saw that. They would be doing some free throws, and just to impress the kids and to show off for the little kids, he would take a basketball and he would swallow it whole. Wow. Yeah. I had never heard that before. I never saw that. Next night, he did this one time in his home arena of Houston next night in Cleveland.
The basketballs, which was an amazing feat. An amazing feat. And just one of the things he was able to do. Did he get an assist for that? What's that? Did he get an assist for that? That was actually counted as an assist. Oh, yeah. Do you know who has got a sin to say? A question at some point. Who on the show tried shepherd's pie for the first time? On the air. Kind of. The answer is Skye. She loved it. It's her favorite thing. It's her favorite thing. She adored it. I wouldn't use those words. By the way, I have to mention, I read for the first time last night and have to admit, it was a guilty pleasure. I laughed hysterically at Skye's open letter to Panda Express. Eddie, did you read it?
it's i agree with most of it thank you thank you well sky her basically her open letter was she loves pan express appreciates pan express yes they have a drive-through that she loves oh she just wishes that they would do the pickup sticks fried wontons cream cheese wontons cream cheese wontons yes which you know pan express does at some locations that's are you not talking about the crab ragoons are you because if that's what you're talking about. I believe they're Rangoon. Rangoon. They're Krag Ragoons. Ragoons. Are you talking about the crab raccoons again? I hate raccoon. Whatever. I will never eat a raccoon. Whatever. Those are not cream cheese wontons. You're ridiculous. They have crab in them. How can they be cream cheese wontons if there's crab in there? Because there's cream cheese in there and they taste the same. Well, will they make them for me minus the crab? No. They do not taste the same. They do taste the same. You can't put crab into something and have it taste the same as something without crab. That's like science, Holmes. All right, 5701053, if you would like to play a little P1 trivia. And basically, the idea behind P1 trivia is it's kind of like the Dumb Chick Challenge. You're trying to earn five points, and you have one, two, three-point questions. Ones are easy. Threes are hard.
P1-300 is on the line right now. He's on the line. As we speak? We have him on the line right now. P1-300, are you there? What's up, Mikey? What is up, dude? Not much. Hey, Sean, do we still have the 300 sound effect? There it is, ladies and gentlemen. That was so inspiring that I feel like today I have got to watch that movie. You say that every time you hear that. That's so intense. I got to see it today. I got to go home and watch that. It's on every five minutes on Cinemax. That is true. That is true. Your opponent will be P1 Sin. Are you there, Sin? Hello. And it's spelled C-Y-N, so I'm guessing your name is Cindy. Cynthia. Cynthia. And you go by P1 Sin. Yes. And let's get a couple of things straight here before we begin. P1 300, I will estimate your age about 27 years old. All right.
Until tomorrow, I'll be 28. And P1 Sin, how old are you? I'm 27 as well. All right. And how long have you been listening, Sin? For about two years. Two years? Two. Two years, okay. Do you listen pretty regularly? Every morning. Every morning. Yep. 300, how long have you been listening? Just over two years, would be about right. Wow, this is a good match. It's like the thing in the Hulk. It is. That wasn't a very good match, though. I know, but this is P1-300. That's true. He's the Hulk. P1-300, on average, how much do you listen to the show per day? How many hours? Three to three and a half. That's a lot. How about you, Sin? I go into work at 7.30, so from 7 to whenever. Until we get off?
Until you guys get off. Yeah, and I don't leave my dad. Very even. If I get something from the printer or the fax, I wait. It's a good matchup. This is a good matchup. I like it. All right, we're starting with the girls this time. And so, Sin, you get to go first. And you have to pick a one, two, or three-point question. First person to five points wins. I'm taking the sky strategy, so two. Two, two, and two. Wow. You will have to have listened to the show for a long time to know the answer to the following question. Although it's come up many times, it rarely comes up. It doesn't come up that much anymore. Which person on the show at one time had a flooded apartment? Ashley. That is correct. Damn you, bandit. Damn you, bandit. Thank you, Eddie. Sends in the lead. P1-300. I'll go for a two. You're going for a two as well. What is the name of the comedian who we play Hollywood Squares with and he does voices of Christopher Walken, Tracy Morgan, Tom Arnold, and Sam Kennison? That's Craig Gass. That is correct. Mr. Craig Gass, we have a tie. P1 Sin, what do you want? A one, two, or three pointer? A three. You do exactly what Sky does. You blow it every time. I'm going every time.
It's P1300, so you got to go. Yeah, I agree. Good strategy. This is an extremely tough question. She's got this. Come on, Mike. Whose father works for the FBI? Ashley. You are so good. That's a hard question. Yes. P1300, you're coming in as well. You're both coming in. Yes. Yes. And the reason I say that is because you're both really good P1s. You guys listen to the show the way you're supposed to. Hang on the line, Sen. Hang on the line, 300. Well, that went well. Why does Leonidas say, then we will fight them in the shade? What does he say? He doesn't actually say that. He doesn't say, then we'll fight them in the shade? No. Who says that? It's like his second in command. And why does he say it? What do they say that precedes it? I know it's about the arrows, but what does he say? Do you remember? Yeah, it's the emissary from the Chosing Army. And yeah, he says that they have so many archers that their arrows will blot out the sun. That's what it is. Then we will fight them in the shade. That's good. You should watch that.
I should really watch that today. It's a real good movie. It's a real good movie. Eddie, do we have time or do we have to break? Can we do something? Yeah, we've got about five minutes. About five minutes. About five minutes. About five minutes. Well, then I should probably tell people that we have a new P1 sticker. Do we have it available online yet or no? I think so. Is it on Mikey Show? Yeah, it should be. Go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W dot com. And when you get there, when you get to MikeyShow.com, you're going to see P1 sticker strike. It's under new on the show. And let's make it a keyword. Make it keyword sticker. And let's send out a blast to everybody. And let them know there is a new P1 sticker stop on May the 10th. That is sick. It's sick. Sick. Sick. That is cool. Sick.
Is it tight? Yeah, dude. That's straight Jabberwocky. That's rad. That's Jabberwocky right there, dude. Love them. So the sticker, we got a new sticker. And our last sticker, when we last did this, man, the San Diego Police Department was concerned because we caused a sick alert. And that is true. We cannot deny that. We did cause a sick alert. And so we are anticipating not hundreds, But thousands of people. And we are prepared. And we are going to have it be where you can get in there and out of there pretty easily. We want you to have this new sticker on your car. And we want you to represent. If you want to see it, go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Keyword, sticker. And you can see this brand new thing. It's pretty amazing. Thank you to Cricket Wireless and the U.S. Border Patrol.

I mean, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, but I remember last year he threw up on a P1. Yeah, but that was an accident. And then he had a monograph. Yeah, the P1 said, can you sign it? And he signed it like with all hands. All hands. Now, this is cool. We just got an email from P1 Ben that says, hey all, I'm so stoked. You're having another sticker event. The first one was off the hook. This year is going to be phenomenal. Can't wait to see you all again. Nice. And thank you to Cricket. Cricket is very well known for their customer service. You go into Cricket, you're not going to have to deal with a lot of stuff that you have to deal with at other places. Cricket, you don't have to deal with this kind of stuff. The people are really cool. Their whole thing is customer service. Is she stifling something? No, there was a thing over there that I had to check out away from the microphone area. All right, then. Sky, do you have some new releases that you'd like to share with us? I guess I do. Thank you very much for asking, Mike. Let's get into it. Yes, this is a new release segment of the show. All right. Alright, this is a clip of Mariah Carey talking about that song. Rob is really excited. I don't know what she's going to say. Cut 11. But again, I'm asking, is the weight, the weight was about making yourself lighter and making yourself freer? I think it's probably, like, I wasn't thinking of it that way, but it probably was. You know, like, internally, that was... Don't you feel it? I mean, we can tell when you say, touch my body, that you mean it. I might have still been like... And who are you singing to, in particular? Girls? Girls? Are you singing to? Darling, it's art. It imitates life. What? Idiot. Here Mariah Carey is telling Oprah how she helped her in life. Cut 12. You were always so nice to me during that time period. I don't know if you even remember. No, I don't. I thought I was mean to you. Well, what did I do? You had a nice talk with me in the office. Oh, okay. One of those talks. It was cool. Oh, it was a talk that wasn't supposed to be nice? It was nice. It was nice? No, the reason I bring that up, too, is because you just, if you had it to do over again, would you have gotten married that young?
No, the reason being, I didn't fully under... See, I thought that being married would actually emancipate me because my goal was not to go and be with a bunch of guys or whatever. My goal was not to have, like, sexcapades with the world. I was like, okay, well, I'm not doing anything. I'm going to be with this person. I'm not leaving. I'm not going anywhere. They can lighten up and loosen up a little bit because it's getting really, really confining. And so... I thought that and even discussed in like a group, couples therapy, like, you know, because they really wanted to get married. And I was like, well, maybe if I do, then he'll understand that I'm not. Meaning he wanted to get married. Yes, he wanted to get married. And I was like, I don't know. I said, I never get married because everybody always gets divorced. And I really don't believe in divorce and the whole thing. Dude, I don't understand anything she was talking about. No, no, very little. Ashley, did you get what she was talking about? No. I don't know what she was talking about. She's crazy. All over the place. And I wanted to know. Because I found myself in the very beginning kind of interested. And then slowly but surely I realized, like...
Wow, I feel like I'm spelunking right now without a flashlight. Right. And I don't know my way out of here. And I realize I've gone too far into the cave. Yeah. I don't know my way out now. Yeah, see, I was spelunking with one of those helmets with the light on it. Yeah. But then the battery started to fail. And so it was just like every once in a while I'd get a little flash. Right. And then I'd be lost all over again. I was spelunking and I had way too much peas. What? I'm in the middle of the cave, bro. What do you want? Oh, no. You know what? All right. And if you're a big fan of Mariah Carey, she'll also be a mentor tonight on American Idol. There you go. Great. Make those kids crazy. Other new CDs out today. We have Hannah Montana with the Best of Both Worlds concert CD. It's a recreation of Van Halen's Best of Both Worlds. That's a Van Halen song, right? Just a different...
Best of both worlds. I liked it first. I liked it the first time when Shania did it. No? Yeah. Right? No, that actually to me sounded, it reminded me of like the opening to a TV show. Like a sitcom or something like that. And I believe it is. Ashley likes the Hannah Montana show. It's a funny show. It really is. For real. It's a great show. Although I actually prefer like her two best friends are like these two like... kids and their men, their boys. And they're funny. They're freaking funny. I'll watch it. Funnier than her, I'd say. Alright. Can you imagine Ashley at home watching the Hannah Montana? With my dog. Man, she's a grown woman. I know it. I know it. What are you going to do? Dog is funnier looking than that show. You can shut up, Eddie. Did you see her? You're stupid. Did you see her blog? I saw Eddie's blog. Did you see Eddie's blog? I saw Eddie's blog. You were blogging about...
Oh, is he saying check it out? Oh, no. Yeah, Mike, check it out. What happened? What are you guys talking about? Things are getting ugly on the World Wide Web. What's the problem, you guys? Let's see what Eddie blogged today. Yeah, it's really nice. Brutal, man. What's happening? Well, first of all, to give it some context, we have to talk about Ashley's blog. And we'll get back to the new releases. Ashley said in her blog the other day. She says, first of all, I'd like to start by saying good morning to Eddie. He stated yesterday that he will no longer be reading my blogs. P1s, I will be the first to tell you that is a flat out lie. I know that he cannot help himself. It's one of those deals where it hurts, but it feels so good. I know what's up. So I'll take this quick opportunity to say, hey. Eddie. In bright pink. In bright pink in caps. And then she included a picture of her dog to go along with it. How cute is she in that picture? And so Eddie responded today. And what it says is, I understand Ashley wants a blog war. What? I emailed, P1 emailed me and told me and I needed to check it out on her blog from Friday where she,
Calls me up. I refuse to read her blog anymore, but I went and looked. Okay, Ashley, I call a truce. I feel bad that I insulted your blog with the great recipes and advice like using the stairs, and that'll help you lose weight. Genius. I also feel bad for insulting your dog and calling him ugly. In fact, here's a picture of the cute little guy. Decide for yourself. That's a picture of her dog that I posted. If you think that Ashley's dog is cute, then you have that right to have that opinion. Yes, it is. It's the most horrendous, offensive picture I've ever seen, actually.
Go to MikeyShow.com and keyword blogs and click on Eddie's blog and you will see a picture of Ashley's dog. I don't know why she's acting like this. It even says that. It says, I hope we can be friends again. Blogs are a safe and happy place. See? Let's keep it that way, it says. What do you want me to do? Ashley, I got to tell you, I would consider feeding that dog more. I'm looking at her. She doesn't have any hair. She's snarling at the camera and I think she might be blind. Something's wrong. But I'm not going to say anything bad about her. She might also be the undead. I think she's cute, actually. Shut your filthy gutter mouth, Eddie. Alright, Sky, what else is coming out today? Also out today, new CDs. We have Rush with Snakes and Arrows Live. Live albums. What do you think they'll do? I grew up listening to that because my brothers. And then finally new out today we have Everclear with The Vegas Years which is them covering a bunch of classic rock songs. Eddie, fun remake or Hallowed Ground? Hallowed Ground. You don't remake Hall and Oates. There you go. Okay, new DVDs out today. What do we got? Juno. Oh. Guys.
I can't wait. I still haven't seen that. Cut 30. We went through a situation before. 30? Yep. We went through a situation before where it didn't work out. Yeah, cold feet. Should have gone to China. You know, because I hear they give away babies like free iPods. You know, they pretty much just put them in those t-shirt guns and shoot them out at sporting events. Your parents are probably wondering where you are. I mean, I'm already pregnant, so what other kind of shenanigans can I get into? I don't think Juno is going to be for me, actually. Really? It sounds too cute. It sounds too cute. Yeah. Because, well, my mother-in-law and my mom saw it together, and it was like the greatest movie they'd ever seen in their lives, and I went, okay. That may be too cute. That may be too cute. And that sounded very cute, you know? I don't know. Has anybody on the show seen Juno? I've seen it. None of us have seen it. Zach, you saw it? Yeah. Did you like it? Yeah, I liked it.
I might see it because of Jason Bateman. I have a man crush on Jason Bateman. How you deal? I think he's a very talented person. What else is out today? Alien vs. Predator Requiem out today. Not Requiem? I put a little bit of that in my coffee with a couple of Splendors. But it came out in theaters. That's what you said it was. I did? Yeah, I'm confused. It came out in theaters. I don't believe I said that. Oh, really? We could pull it in. I would like you to. Alien vs. Predator Requiem was what it was. Well, why would I say that? That's not even a word. I don't know how to pronounce it. That's not even a word. It's a good question. I'll find out when it was released and I'll pull up that Friday. I would love to hear that. Cut 36. Seven days ago, one of my satellites over Antarctica hunting for mineral deposits discovered a sudden heat bloom beneath the earth. The red lines indicate solid walls. My experts tell me it's a pyramid. Where exactly on the ice is this? Bulbatoia Island. Good acting. But it's not on the ice. It's 2,000 feet below it. Is that Bishop? You are kidding me. Is it? Lance Henriksen. Lance Henriksen. Thank goodness for the Alien franchise, or Lance wouldn't be working. Yes, I can hear you. Is that it? Also out today, we have Lars and the Real Girl. What is that?
Very excited. Ryan Gosling. It's a great movie. He's kind of like socially out of it. He kind of doesn't get it. It's a movie about Metallica. And orders a mate by mail, which it turns out to be like a blow up doll. And everybody in the town kind of pities him. So they go along with the idea that this is his actual girlfriend. Hmm. Eddie, what do you think of that? Well. It got mixed reviews. Great reviews. And Skye is freaking out and says she's going to go buy it today. You're going to go buy it? Which is confusing to me. Out of all the movies, Lars and the Real Girl, she's freaking out about it. Because I read in Entertainment Weekly, they said three new DVDs that they highly recommend that everybody see is Juno, Lars and the Real Girl, and There Will Be Blood. So why don't you go get any of the other movies? Well, I'm getting those two. You're going to get all three? No, There Will Be Blood ain't for me. How do you know? Juno and... Because I've seen stuff. Like the poster in The Office. I saw that and I'm like, I'm good. She's already seen it. Also out today, we have Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Oh, that was good. I saw that in theaters. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hoff. We need a camera in here. One of my favorite things is when Ashley works those bangs over. I love it. It's so funny.
She starts working those bangs. I got to bring a video camera in here. I got to do it. It's fun to watch. It's not easy. It isn't. It's not easy. Well, they get all messed up, you know. She's got to get them and grab a hold of those rascals. It's important. So, TV shows to DVD. Melrose Place, The Fourth Season, American Dad, Volume 3. Enjoy. And for the record, P1 Talon said, I did not say Requiem. It was a listener who called in and said that. Thank you very much. That is, I don't believe that's true. Thank you very much. Thank you, Ron. Continue. Talon, I think you're wrong. Talon, you are the best. And I remember that clearly now. P1 John is on the line. Yeah, how you doing? Good. That was my idiot move. It was December 20-something. Whoa. See? Dude. I called in and I said, hey, you know, it's Aliens versus Predator, the Requiem. And all of you embarrassed the crap out of me. No. It wasn't this guy. So, I would like your apologies. I apologize. Actually, when he said that, I thought, there's something goofy about this person's voice. I think they said requiem at one time. I said requiem, and you guys are just going, requiem for a dream. Requiem for a dream. Wow. I said it off the air. Thank you. I forgive you, Eddie. Thank you. I don't know.
Friends make mistakes. Thank you very much. Yes, they do. Oh, no. Okay. Oh, no. Hey, Mikey, I got to put this email. Mikey, I got to pull out my Wicked Nerd card and let you know that they actually did a Thing vs. the Hulk miniseries and the Hulk wins. And I'll even go a step further and inform you that they just did a World War Hulk storyline. Where he took on everybody in the Marvel Universe. X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the event. This sounds awesome. Hulk has been confirmed as the strongest one there is. Alright, I have to go kick my own ass now. We'll hold you to that. That's right. So there it is. An answer to all of your questions and dreams. This is a clip. You're going to love this. Have you ever been in one of these situations where it just doesn't matter what you do, it's wrong? Yeah. Everything you do. Yes. And then you say something and it's wrong. And then you react to that. And you breathe and it's wrong. It's everything you do. Like you can't. You sweat and it's wrong. Exactly. You sweat? Well, you sweat. You can't get out of your own way is what I'm saying. You know, in every turn, everything you do. Well, I would say that I think Hillary Clinton may be there right now. Oh, no.
I think that it just might be that it doesn't matter what she does, it's wrong. And I've made an observation. She fired her campaign advisor. And this was a Clinton guy. He was Bill Clinton's campaign advisor. He had the goofiest hair. He looked like Bob's big boy. You've seen Bob's big boy, right? Yeah. He had the goofiest hair. And when they fired him, I thought to myself, I don't think that's the problem. See, there are different kinds of communicators. A good communicator can keep people's attention, and a great communicator can get people actually engaged and involved in it.
Hillary doesn't have that thing. She doesn't. No, she does not. She doesn't have that thing. In fact, there's something really interesting going on with Hillary Clinton. She actually has this thing Where when she communicates, she turns you off. Even if you're a supporter. Even if you admire and enjoy her. I think that if you ask yourself, Hillary supporter right now. In your car, at work, at home. If you really ask yourself, has she annoyed me before? The answer is going to be yes. And so, she made these comments about Barack Obama. Well, first what happened was Barack Obama made these comments that. some people took umbrage with. What was it, Sky? He said something like about religion and people carrying guns. Yeah, people from small parts of towns carrying guns and being bitter. And being too religious and all this stuff. And so Hillary goes, ooh, cool, I'll seize this moment and I'll make him look bad. But she doesn't know how to do it. Cut 26.
campaign alert in to tell you about a very interesting situation just happened in pittsburgh senator hillary clinton talking about the bitter comments made by barack obama she's at a forum on manufacturing listen carefully to the reaction from the crowd you know i know that many of you like me were disappointed by recent remarks that he made and i think it's important that uh... you know we give people the chance to really Compare and contrast us. We've listened to that tape over and over, and you can hear the crowd there saying no after Senator Clinton's comments. There's just something about the way she delivers it, man. People are not digging it at all. So here's a new ad by Hillary that's been put out about Barack's comments. Oh, can you imagine? Already? I don't have a clue what this is, but I'm already wondering, like, what will it be? Like, what was the brainchild? What was it?
What did they hatch? Cut 27. I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approve this message. Barack Obama said that people in small towns cling to guns or religion as a way to explain their frustrations. I was very insulted by Barack Obama. It just shows how out of touch Barack Obama is. I'm not clinging to my faith out of frustration and bitterness. I find that my faith is very uplifting. The good people of Pennsylvania deserve a lot better than what Barack Obama said. Hillary does understand... The citizens of Pennsylvania better. Hillary Clinton has been fighting for people like us her whole life. Oh, my gosh. So gross. Yeah. What do you guys, what do you think? What are the thoughts that come to mind when you hear it? This is so contrived and stupid. And dirty and yucky. Those are scripted, man. Yeah, yeah. Like, that's terrible. Right? How the Eddie line's ringing. Oh, no. I know. Yeah, you're right. Hello, Barbara. Whoa! Whoa! No, Barbara. Yeah, exactly. Okay, I know you guys just want to jump on the Barack Obama bandwagon. No, I don't. We never said that. It's so awful. But how come you don't talk about the fact that she ended people vomiting in Europe in 1997? People don't vomit anymore in Europe. What are you talking about? I've not heard about this. People haven't vomited in Europe in 11 years, Eddie, and you don't talk about it. And she did that? She was the person responsible for it.
Epicac. Really? I think you better go check your facts, lady. Did you know, ladies, I want to just let all you ladies know that if you don't vote for her, then you're against women's rights. But also, I want to let you know that she invented Vagisil. And without Vagisil, did you know that? I don't want to know that. She wrote a sign of monologues. And invented the modern day wings on tampons. These are just reasons that... Tampons don't have wings, Barbara. Barbara, you should know that. Barbara, you should know that as a woman. As a woman, I'm talking about the new tampons that fly away after you use them. I've never heard of those. Where do they go? I don't know. I'm not like magic. I'm just... And I don't use those kinds. I use... OB tampon. No, you have gone through the change. You don't use anything. Well, because of all the meds you're on, your cycle just stops. That is true, too. Oh, it happens, Barbara. Are you on something? Am I slurring right now? Well, you always kind of are a little bit. Well, say the word communicate. Let me try. That was rude. I think I just got that.
That was awful. Just saying. Wrope me right in. I swallowed the whole hook. Let's be honest, you guys. Nobody cares about the citizens of Pennsylvania. I mean... That's not true. I thought the whole place was a bunch of Amish people anyway. They're churning butter. That's not true. They don't believe in electricity. Well, there are some Amish in Pennsylvania. And what is that? It's like black magic, right? No, it's not. It's just a simple way to live. Barbara. Did you know that Hillary, she was the original creator of Emodium AD and she creates it and it's all from a secret that she discovered from her underarm. Did you know that? That's foolish. What happened was one time she tasted her own underarm. And at the time she had the squirts. And it stopped. It stopped. So she bottled her underarm. She bottled her underarm. And ever since then it's been a cure. You're not helping her. Did you know that she delivered Chelsea herself? I don't think that's possible.
I don't know what I heard about that, Barbara. Nobody talks about that. She invented the epidural, you pigs. She gave herself an epidural. She gave herself an epidural. First of all, don't argue all this. What do you mean argue? You're saying ridiculous things. She invented the epidural. No, she didn't. Gave herself an epidural. No, she didn't. Delivered Chelsea. No, she didn't. That's impossible. Am I slurring right now? Yes. Thank God. I'm glad she hung us. I really am glad she hung up. Sky, that was a cheap shot that you threw out there. I was thinking of words that some find difficult. I'm embarrassed for you, Sky. That's right. Three and a half hours from now, the Chargers are going to release their schedule. Two o'clock today, they're going to tell us who they're going to play. That's exciting. Yeah, that'd be cool. I hope that they're doing some really good home... Who would be... We know who they're playing. We just don't know where it's going to be. Deuce McAllister worked out a deal to remain a saint. Most people thought he was going to get cut, but apparently he restructured his deal. He's going to play again. I guess even McCain is weighing in on those Obama comments. Oh, yeah. Get him, Johnny. Seize the moment.
So, again, going back to these Obama bitter comments, McCain said at a meeting the other night, quote, I think those comments are elitist. I think anybody who disparages anyone who is hardworking, the dedicated people who cherish the right to hunt and observe their values and the culture and say that's because they're unhappy with their economic conditions. So, again, using the word elitist in regards to Barack Obama. Carmelo Anthony was arrested. DUI? Probably not the best thing as the playoffs begin here next week to be arrested for a DUI. That's probably not good. I wouldn't. Let's see. Hawks earned a playoff berth for the first time since 99. Shocking. Yeah, it is. Speaking of basketball, Kansas State All-American Michael? Beasley. Beasley. It's going to enter the draft. Yep. It'll go high. This is kind of dumb in my opinion, but apparently experts say California is going to experience a big quake and it's nearly certain by 2037. Now, the reason I think it's goofy is it's like, well, duh. I mean, so you make a big old bold statement like that and then say till 2037, like, duh. Yeah.
We live in California, first of all, so of course it's going to happen. Yeah, they say that there's a 99.7% chance that California will be hit by a 6.7 magnitude earthquake or larger. If you break it up, Northern California versus Southern California, they say it's a 93% chance. In Northern California, a 97% chance here in Southern California. Really? Higher chance down here? Yeah, I found that odd too. I always thought that the bigger quakes were up north. Me too. That's weird. Let's see. San Diego City Council voted yesterday to give themselves a pay raise. Oh. Well, they deserve it. Yeah. Worked so hard. Important issue. That's right. Yeah. So this is tough because it was the same day that the mayor presented his budget that cuts 130 jobs. And the pay raise would be about 24% for the city council and 29% for the mayor. Now, an aide for the mayor says that Mayor Sanders promises to veto the increase, but all the city council has to do is get a majority to override his veto. What would that be? Just a majority. So there's eight people, so they would need a 5-3 split. There it is. To do that. Let's see. Tonight on Idol. Okay, so you guys know who David Cook is? American Idol? Yeah. He will not be going home.
We can already say this definitively. It doesn't matter if he goes out there. No, no, no. What do you mean? He can go out there tonight and he can... Sing Alligator? He could sing Alla, Alla, Alla, Alligator. Oh, extra points. And he will still not be going home. Really? Why? His sick brother is going to be in the audience tonight and tomorrow night. And they're going to do a whole thing about it. What's he got? Well, you know, there was a couple times ago when David Cook was sick and they said he was, you know, extremely emotionally distraught because his brother is suffering from brain cancer. And his brother, it was so sick that his brother's doctor told him he can't fly on a commercial airline out there because he's so sick. So everybody raised donations. A hospital in his hometown donated their services. So he will be sent out here to L.A. with a medic, a nurse, in a Learjet. So he can attend these tapings or these episodes of American Idol to support his brother. Here's a look into the future, David Cook's performance. You're safe. Really well done. I'm going to vote for you. David, I think that was your best performance yet. Bret Michaels chose a chick on that show, Rock of Love, but says he still hasn't found real love. What a surprise. Because there could be a third season.
Yeah, it's funny. He talks about how true love isn't going to be found instantly on television. It's found over a few seasons. It would be a scripted show if it was. And then he goes on to say, quote, that is the reason Rock of Love has been the number one show. What? The number one show? What is he talking about? Indonesia? Yeah. No, dude. Hey, did you guys know that they just made this announcement in TV Guide that Survivor is going to now be in HD? And I didn't know it wasn't. Yeah, next season of Survivor will be in HD. I thought it was, but I didn't know. Let's see. Travis Barker, we told you about that lawsuit that he had because Rockstar Energy Drink was using his image in ads. They settled, and we don't know how much for, but they settled. And we're done. 570-1053 is our phone number. Call us at the beginning and end of every show and talk to us. Nice. It'd be really nice to talk to you. You can talk about whatever you want. And what is today? Tuesday? There it is. Anything? Did I miss anything? Sky tried shepherd's pie today. And that was really cool. But what else happened? We got a phone call from a guy who said that he did, in fact, say Requeen. We thought it was Sky that said it. Thank you. It was actually the guy. I feel vindicated.
Dr. Phil made an appearance here today, and we found out that the Hulk can beat the thing. It's true. Allegedly. Not allegedly. He did. In some, like, knockoff remake. Knockoff remake? What are you talking about? Mikey Show. Hi, this is P1 South. I have a question for Eddie. What? Whoa! Who is between Juggernaut and the Blob? That's a good question. That's a good question. Yeah, well, Juggernaut. Eddie says that's a good question. He can basically go through anything if he gains momentum and Blob ain't going anywhere. I'm going to put my money on Juggernaut. I think he'll be able to take him out. Never heard of these people. Did you see The Last X-Men? No. You didn't? I think Dolly Parton used to be known as Juggernaut. She's actually still known as Juggernaut. Mikey's show, hello. Hey, Mikey, P1 Josh. I got a legitimate question for Skye. No, thank you. I was wondering if she's going to put a P1 Army sticker on the Donkey Kong 2. That's a great question. And it's not the Donkey Kong 2 anymore, by the way. The Honky Kong 2. I'm sorry. The Honky Kong 2. Skye, will you put a new sticker on the Honky Kong? Of course you will. I can tell from her reaction, like, that's a ridiculous question. Of course, of course I will put one on the Honky Kong. What am I going to do? No, no such thing. No.
On the rotas. P1 Combat Welder. Hello, this is P1 Harold. What's up, Harold? Hey, Mikey, how you doing? Good, man. Hey, I just want to say thank you to all of you guys. My son had surgery last week, and I turned the Mikey Show on for him today, and he's been cracking up all morning. That's awesome, man. You guys have been really uplifting for him. That's awesome. We love it. Thank you, dude. All right, man. Appreciate it. Mikey Show, hello. Mikey? Yes. Hey, Mike, I had a quick question for Ashley. Okay. I want to know what her new boyfriend looks like, because I thought I had a chance with her, so I want to know if I'm maybe still her type. Mark's a good-looking guy. Yeah, he is. He's extremely strikingly good-looking, actually. We're being honest. Calm down. He's stunning, and he's my buff, huh? He's all mine. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Missy is up next. She has the all-request lunch on the nooner. It's going to be real nice and sweet.
And Missy smells good. Yes, she does. We will see you again tomorrow morning at 5.30. Make sure you're here. This afternoon, make sure you listen to B.C. and Clintons. 5.30. Morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out late for your mouth.
